  • GTA 6 Vice City map & amusement park “debunked” after leaker reveals truth – Dexerto

GTA 6 Vice City map & amusement park “debunked” after leaker reveals truth Rockstar GamesRecent GTA 6 leaks showing off a map of Vice City and an amusement park have seemingly been debunked after a man has taken credit for creating them himself for the laughs. The GTA community was having a field day in recent weeks, thinking that they’d managed to hit a treasure trove of leaks after a video showing off an in-game map was posted online. Shortly after, a new leak emerged showcasing an amusement park called Fred’s Fun World featuring shops and attractions with comedic names that would fit nicely in the GTA universe. Unfortunately, it seems like this was all just an elaborate scam and the work of one man who goes by the name ‘Tim McDowell’ on Medium. A post on the site explains why the recent leaks are fake and includes the link to a YouTube video. “That’s right, I did this. I faked all of it,” the post reads. “Every leak regarding GTA VI on the entire internet. It was me. And I will strike again. You’ll never see me coming.” The video itself is a bit wild. Featuring the song ‘Clubbed to Death’ by Rob Dougan, the “leaker” reveals the entire GTA 6 map without the bad camera angle from the original. All the while, memes featuring The Joker from Batman keep popping up. He also showed how he created the Fred’s Fun World leak, primarily Fred Quincy himself. “Dear GTA community, I have an IQ of 198,” the leaker mocked. “My goals are beyond your understanding. My graphic design skills are mediocre at best.” Once more, the user warned that they’d strike again and this wouldn’t be the last time the community will have to deal with fake leaks. The leaks just prove how hungry GTA fans are for content. Until Rockstar finally announces GTA 6 themselves, expect more eyes to be analyzing everything they put down, trying to find that one hint proving GTA 6 really exists.

  • GTA 6 trends after fake announcement “leaks” reach absurd new levels – Dexerto

GTA 6 trends after fake announcement “leaks” reach absurd new levels Rockstar GamesFans anticipating Rockstar Games to finally share the first official look at GTA 6 were left disappointed, once again, after a viral “leak” ended up being just a creative fake. For years now, GTA fans have been eager for the next installment in the GTA series, having had just about enough of San Andreas and longing for a change of scenery. Although Rockstar did reveal that work on the next game was “well underway,” fans have yet to receive any official gameplay, images, or even a logo. On May 13, fans thought they had a reason to get excited, as a leaked image suggested that a GTA 6 announcement was imminent – but just like so many others, it ended up being fake (albeit it was quite the prank). https://twitter.com/NEWSLEAKSGTAS/status/1524758565315133440 Fake GTA 6 “leaks” are getting wild Amusingly, the reason some fans suspected a reveal could be coming was due to a “leaked” image claiming to be from a Rockstar Games social media management service. The leaked photo, taken with a cell phone, showed a supposed Rockstar Sprinklr account with a “GTA VI” attachment scheduled for 3PM BST. However, the time came and went with no announcement. Instead, Rockstar revealed a special Max Payne 3 soundtrack would be coming out later this year, dashing the hopes of fans whose misplaced hype had caused GTA 6 to trend on Twitter. Here is the awaited GTA 6 announcement, so hyped! https://t.co/xVnqeaZHCm — Ocean View (@RockstarG_News_) May 13, 2022 “Here is the awaited GTA 6 announcement, so hyped!” one user mocked following the Max Payne 3 reveal. “Until I see an official trailer for #GTA6 BY ROCKSTAR. I will not believe anything I hear or read,” another fed up gamer posted. “It’s been 9 years of news of it being released.” https://twitter.com/yegabomb13/status/1525147714006044673 That didn’t stop the copium from flowing, however, as some even read into the Max Payne 3 soundtrack as somehow being a GTA 6 tease. One fan even suggested that by linking to a Vice news story, the video game company was referencing Vice City – the Florida-based location where many think will next game will take place. https://twitter.com/NEWSLEAKSGTAS/status/1525135847728750595 In the end, the day was no different than any other for GTA fans, but considering the lengths users are going to fake leaks, it’s clear that the anticipation for GTA 6 has reached insane new highs.

  • GTA 6 trailer ‘teaser’ in The Weeknd’s music video debunked – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer ‘teaser’ in The Weeknd’s music video debunked YouTube/The WeekndFans anxiously awaiting news regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 saw a glimmer of hope within a music video by The Weeknd, but soon had their dreams shattered. While The Weeknd’s Binding Lights animated music video has been out since August, on September 15, fans noticed a possible GTA 6 clue hidden within it. At the 56 second mark of the track, the words “GTA 6 Trailer” are shown. There is also at least one word before “GTA” that ends with an “N,” but the camera cuts before it’s shown. This interesting find was noted by Grand Theft Auto Twitter account GTAVInewz. During The Weekends music video, if you look at the top left you can see “”GTA 6 TRAILER”” idk if this means anything but this is really interesting.#GTA6 #GTAVI pic.twitter.com/IR7VC3EGh8 — GTA 6 NEWS (@GTAVInewz) September 15, 2020 “During The Weekends music video, if you look at the top left you can see ‘GTA 6 TRAILER,’” they remarked. “[I don’t know] if this means anything but this is really interesting.” Unfortunately, the hype was short-lived. As Rockstar insider Yann2295 pointed out, “this, just like all the other messages in the video, are comments from viewers who watched the ‘show’ live on TikTok.” So, while the newest GTA 6 theory was debunked, it just goes to show how thirsty fans are for anything even remotely related to the next installment. Before people go too crazy over this… Yes it does say “”GTA 6 trailer”” at 0:56 in this video from @theweeknd, but this, just like all the other messages in the video, are comments from viewers who watched the “”show”” live on TikTok.https://t.co/MnF4rg5WGh pic.twitter.com/BmSFpkFjxP — Yan2295 (@Yan2295) September 15, 2020 It’s gotten to a point where recently, Shawn Fonteno, the voice of Franklin in GTA V, commented on why Rockstar was taking so long to release the game. “Y’all gotta understand, it’s a process to put these games out man,” he said on Instagram. “I keep telling you, if you all look at the interviews of us, it took us like four/four-and-a-half years to film and complete GTA 5. So, you gotta understand and know.” At this point it’s anyone’s guess when Rockstar will formally announce the project, but when they do, expect the whole internet to collectively breathe a sigh of relief.

  • GTA 6 rumor claims reveal in November, map 3x bigger than GTA 5 – Dexerto

GTA 6 rumor claims reveal in November, map 3x bigger than GTA 5 Rockstar GamesA new rumor is claiming that Rockstar will finally announce GTA 6 in November 2021, with the game’s first trailer. GTA 6 has easily become one of the most anticipated games of all time, but little is known about the yet-to-be-announced title. While Rockstar has remained quiet, that hasn’t stopped the plethora of leaks and speculation emerging. A post on Instagram news page ThatsSoBold is claiming that Rockstar will announce the sixth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series in November. View this post on Instagram GTA 6 in “Miami” “GTA 6 will be announced Nov-Dec and will take place in Miami,” the post read. Interestingly here is the use of “Miami” in place of its game stand-in of Vice City. Of course, Vice City has long been rumored to be the location of the game, so this info seems to line up. The account also claims the new map will feature “Hurricanes, gators, and more!” According to ThatsSoBold, the map will change over time with updates from Rockstar, similar to how Epic Games handles Fortnite. Is the leak real? This would be a huge change to how the game is played and could lead to a lot of brand new gameplay possibilities. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for Rockstar to give this a shot. “GTA 6 will be Announced and Teased with a trailer starting November through December,” they added. “[It] will be 3 times bigger than the GTA 5 Map.” Considering GTA V was set to re-release on PS5 in November, the timing of this supposed trailer is quite interesting if the report ends up being accurate. The port was sadly pushed to March 2022, suggesting that perhaps the trailer and the next Grand Theft Auto reveal were the reason. It should be noted that some insiders have claimed GTA 6 wouldn’t be released until 2025. As always, take this rumor with a grain of salt, but hopefully, we get some big news come November or early December.

  • GTA 6 trailer remade in real-life but fans think the game actually looks better – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer remade in real-life but fans think the game actually looks better YouTube/DELTA/Rockstar GamesGTA 6’s first trailer is still making waves online since its December 2023 premiere and now it’s even been remade in real life, but fans still think the game looks better. Rockstar Games’ GTA 6 trailer has been remade countless times already. Users have remade it in Minecraft, by Hyundai and even in GTA V, but a new real-life version of the trailer may be the best yet. On March 23, DELTA uploaded a video to YouTube that takes most of the moments seen in the GTA VI trailer and recreates them IRL. Beaches, cars, clubs – every scene in the trailer has taken life. The most interesting parts are when the trailer takes on GTA 6’s focus on social media by using real-life footage of alligators, women dancing on cars, and of course, the infamous Florida Joker. Just about the only thing that the IRL trailer doesn’t remake is the end scene where Jason and Lucia hold up a store in a masked armed robbery, but aside from that, fans are absolutely in love with it. There’s just one problem… they think the game looks even better than real life! “Damn the graphics look sh*ttier than the actual game,” one remarked. “Rockstar trailer looks better,” said another. “When the game has better graphics than real life,” commented a YouTube user. The GTA 6 trailer has become one of the most viewed videos of all time. Shortly after its debut, it shattered the YouTube record for most views on a non-music video in 24 hours. There’s still no word from Rockstar about when the next trailer will be unveiled, but it may be a little while. A new report from Kotaku suggests that the game could end up missing out on its planned 2025 release window and slide into 2026 as development “falls behind.”

  • Former Rockstar dev claims GTA 6 is “really gonna look like” the trailer – Dexerto

Former Rockstar dev claims GTA 6 is “really gonna look like” the trailer Take-Two InteractiveAccording to a former GTA 5 developer, the impressive graphics in GTA 6’s trailer actually represent how the final product will look. Following an unfortunate leak, Rockstar Games unleashed the first GTA 6 teaser to the delight of millions. The trailer’s proven so popular, in fact, that it’s already become the fastest-viewed trailer on YouTube, with 90-plus million views in 24 hours. Suffice it to say, the public is enthralled as many continue to pour over every second of the footage with hopes of finding easter eggs and the like. The stunning visuals also continue to impress the masses. And, according to one ex-Rockstar animator, the final game will look closer to the teaser than people think. Ex-Rockstar Games dev says GTA 6 trailer isn’t all cinematics Mike York, a GTA 5 and RDR2 animator who worked at Rockstar for five years, recently posted a reaction video to the GTA 6 reveal. The first part of the video sees York watching the trailer in full. During the remaining 10 minutes or so, York breaks down the footage, sharing insight into things that other people may not notice. York notes early on that it’s clear Rockstar greatly expanded upon every facet of the game world. For example, he points out the particle effects floating through the air during the first cutscene: “This is an in-game cutscene. A lot of games that you see are done with cinematics and they cut to a scene [that’s] not all in-game. It’s kind of pre-rendered.” A little later, the developer comments on an NPC with highly detailed features, evidenced by pockmarks on his face and the texture of his dreads. York reiterated that what’s shown isn’t cinematics: “When you play this game, it’s really gonna look like this.” According to the animator, everything in GTA titles is “all done in-game,” including cutscenes and buildings seen far in the distance. It’s why GTA takes so long to build because what goes into each project is always so elaborate. For instance, the dozens of NPCs in the GTA 6 trailer‘s beach section are all engaged in different actions, thanks to tens of thousands of animations. From what York can tell, Rockstar developers are pushing current-gen hardware “to the limits with their level of detail.”

  • GTA 6 trailer may have just leaked ahead of rumored October reveal – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer may have just leaked ahead of rumored October reveal GamerficialThe long-awaited GTA 6 trailer might finally arrive later this month according to a leaker who provided some big clues supporting the claim. Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of, if not the most, anticipated game of all time – and fans have been waiting years for it to finally be announced. Luckily, it seems like it won’t be much longer. Rumors of an October 26 reveal have been swirling for weeks now, with Rockstar seemingly teasing GTA VI on social media, but so far, there’s been nothing concrete to show for them… until now. Normally, a description of a trailer from a random person on Reddit who says their wife works at Rockstar wouldn’t carry much weight, but in this case, they’re backing their claims up with evidence. GTA 6 trailer details surface as leaker confirms Rockstar ties In a post on Reddit’s ‘GamingLeaksAndRumours’ subreddit, a new user by the name of ‘FollowTheDamnLeakCJ’ claimed to have information about the upcoming GTA 6 trailer. According to the user, their wife works at Rockstar and is in a position where she’d been able to see the trailer ahead of time. Although the poster was met with doubt at first, they sent “proof” to the moderators who say it helped support the claim. “It is not definitive, but it is certainly more than other No Source posts. It is a picture of internal communication at Rockstar, implying their wife is in fact an employee,” a mod wrote. With this info out of the way and some legitimacy established, the post consisted of a pretty large breakdown of the trailer, including its music, which the leaker says is ‘That’s All’ by Genesis. The trailer itself supposedly consists of protagonists Jason and Lucia getting into typical GTA hijinks, such as a high-speed chase with cops, a shootout at a space station, and some shots of Vice City itself. At another point, Jason and Lucia reportedly point guns at each other in a sleazy motel. It’s not clear yet if a release date will accompany the trailer, but comments from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick have suggested that GTA VI will launch as early as 2024. Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt and a pinch of pepper, because as we all know, people love to make up things on the internet. In any case, hopefully it won’t be long until GTA 6 is finally ready to be officially unveiled to the world.

  • GTA 6 trailer eclipses decade-old GTA 5 viewership record in just over a day – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer eclipses decade-old GTA 5 viewership record in just over a day Rockstar GamesThe GTA 6 reveal trailer just won’t stop setting records. In a little over a day, the highly anticipated first look has already soared ahead of GTA 5’s reveal trailer viewership accrued over the past 12 years. GTA 6 is finally real and gamers around the globe are losing their minds. Although Rockstar had to scrap its reveal plans in light of some devastating early leaks, the impact of its sudden launch has sent shockwaves throughout the industry. From quickly becoming the most-watched non-music video on YouTube, taking the record previously held by MrBeast, to growing Rockstar Games’ social presence like never before, it’s safe to say the reveal has been a smash hit across the board. And its success is only continuing to mount. A little over 24 hours removed from the official upload of the trailer on YouTube, the GTA 6 reveal has already toppled the lifetime views on GTA 5’s reveal trailer. On November 3, 2011, fans got their first look at GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. In the 12 years since, that particular debut has gone on to amass just shy over 100 million views on YouTube. On December 4, 2023, fans got their first look at GTA 6, currently targeting Xbox Series X | S and PS5. In just the following 37 hours, this subsequent debut has already muscled past the previous entry. Clearing the 100 million view mark on YouTube in just over a day, it’s now the fastest-growing video on the platform outside of the music video realm. And no doubt its total viewership will only continue to skyrocket in the coming days, especially now with Rockstar having uploaded the full trailer directly on X (formerly Twitter). The first-glimpse gave us a taste of what to expect in Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional take on Florida, along with the first details on one of the new protagonists, Lucia. Naturally, fans have been going over every single frame with a fine tooth comb to grab any other details hidden away by the devs. From returning vehicles to possible story implications, and plenty of Easter eggs to boot, be sure to brush up on our full GTA 6 coverage here.

  • GTA 6 ‘trailer’ debunked after racking up views and being deleted off YouTube – Dexerto

GTA 6 ‘trailer’ debunked after racking up views and being deleted off YouTube Rockstar GamesA GTA 6 ‘trailer’ has been debunked after it appeared on YouTube and social media, with hoaxsters claiming it was uploaded by Rockstar North. As Rockstar Games have continued to keep their cards firmly close to their chest regarding GTA 6, fans of the iconic sandbox-action franchise have been left to build their own hype. Some have gone about it in pretty reasonable ways, taking the numerous leaks we’ve already seen and trying to construct maps based on that information. Others have gone a bit too far though, trying to dupe fans into believing something is coming from Rockstar when it isn’t. We’ve seen this a few times with supposed announcements and trailers, but a brand-new one has been debunked after it become pretty widespread on YouTube and social media. GTA 6 trailer isn’t real but it’s becoming widespread If you’ve been on YouTube in the last few days then you may have received a supposed ‘trailer’ for GTA 6 playing as an advert before your video. The clip, like others, is designed to look genuine and eye-catching, mixing in moments from a modded version of GTA IV to show off the supposed graphics. It’s even interspersed with brief clips from real life, just to really try and sell the whole thing. It is an obviously fake trailer, but if you need any other further reasons to not believe it, well, its uploaded by ‘Rockstar North’ and has a blurry version of the studio’s actual logo as a profile photo. It’s hardly professional. A number of GTA fans noted that they’d seen the clip before it was pulled down, and it had reached around 300k views. So, someone had clearly gone through a lot of effort to spread it around. At the end of the day, when it comes time to reveal GTA 6, Rockstar will make a big song and dance about it. You won’t be able to miss it, really.

  • GTA 6 fans discover COD Black Ops parody in trailer – Dexerto

GTA 6 fans discover COD Black Ops parody in trailer Take-Two InteractiveWhile watching the reveal trailer, eagle-eyed GTA 6 fans found a reference to an in-universe video game and Black Ops parody. On December 4, Rockstar Games unleashed the first trailer for the long-awaited GTA 6. Players and pundits have been pouring over every detail in the days since then, trying to find any hint as to what the new adventure may entail. The myriad Easter eggs that have already been uncovered include everything from GTA: Vice City references to viral Florida man/woman moments. But some subtler nods to popular culture lay hidden, as well. One such Easter egg seems to harken back to a Call of Duty parody previously seen in Grand Theft Auto 5. GTA 6 fans spot Call of Duty: Black Ops reference in reveal trailer A scene in GTA 5 shows Michael’s son, Jimmy, playing a first-person shooter, Righteous Slaughter. It’s long been understood to serve as a Call of Duty parody, and the record-breaking GTA 6 teaser hammers that point home. At around the 1:07 mark in the trailer, a heavyset man briefly appears on screen wearing a graphic t-shirt. The shirt’s logo and text revolve around Righteous Slaughter: Blood Ops, as noted by Rockstar Universe on Twitter. It would seem, then, that somewhere between GTA 5 and GTA 6, the in-universe COD-like game has received a Blood Ops experience à la Black Ops. Of course, it’s currently unclear if the Black Ops parody will play any role in GTA 6 outside of a t-shirt design. And players will have to wait quite some time to find out. The new Grand Theft Auto entry will eventually hit store shelves in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

  • GTA 6 trailer clue potentially discovered on Rockstar’s YouTube channel – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer clue potentially discovered on Rockstar’s YouTube channel Graphics: RockstarRockstar Games’ movement on YouTube has left fans wondering whether or not a GTA 6 trailer is coming soon, after discovering what appears to be a secret video on their channel that’s not yet been made public. A number of people have claimed to have inside information on the developer’s next major project, although at the time of writing Rockstar are still yet to have revealed the existence of Grand Theft Auto 6, never mind the finer details. However, with the GTA Online update adding Formula 1 cars and races going out on February 27, there doesn’t seem to be any plans for another huge addition of its kind lined up, leaving many fans wondering if something related to the next GTA game could be in the works. The clues have been stacking up towards something potentially being revealed soon, too, with fans spotting a graphic on the Rockstar Games website (above) that showed a robot holding the company’s big ‘R’ from their logo. Upon closer inspection, some members of the community noticed that a champagne bottle in the graphic was from 1998, which could be a hint towards the series moving to a new part in time – if the teaser turns out to be related to GTA. Now, it appears that Rockstar have added a new YouTube video to their channel that’s not yet been released to the public, sparking rumors of a potential reveal for GTA 6 – as seen in a tweet from Rockstar_Mag. Ce qui nous permettait de surveiller (1/5) pic.twitter.com/5RaZ1h8aRH — Rockstar Mag’ (@Rockstar_Mag) February 12, 2020 A previous leak suggested that the developers were already on the lookout for trailer music, enquiring about licensing for tracks from Young Dolph, but it’s unknown as to whether or not his music will feature in future videos. As has been the case with several of these ‘clues’ so far, there’s no way of telling whether fans are onto something or actually way off with their potential discovery. Rockstar_Mag stated there were just 255 visible videos on February 12, but there are 260 on the YouTube channel at the time of writing. Since January, Rockstar have only released a trailer for the GTA Online Open Racing event, but is something new being lined up for release? We’ll have to wait and see.

  • GTA 6 trailer apparently “coming soon” as actor teasers continue – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer apparently “coming soon” as actor teasers continue YouTube: taltigoltGrand Theft Auto 6 could finally be revealed before long as actors and musicians that have apparently worked on the game have started teasing a few things. While Rockstar Games have, at long last, acknowledged the existence of GTA 6, the iconic game developers have remained pretty silent about what they have in store with the highly-anticipated title. According to leakers, as well as actors that have claimed to have worked on the project, players will head back to Vice City – with an apparent split between a modern-day setting and a throwback to the original Vice City timeline. As for a release date, it’s claimed that the game will release in 2024, but we could get a reveal much sooner than that according to actors and musicians that have apparently worked on GTA 6. Alex Gonzalez, otherwise known as El Nitro 56, started dropping a few cryptic hints on Twitter on May 6, responding to a few GTA fans who started asking questions about his involvement. The hip-hop artist, who caught the eye by calling fellow musician krypto9095 a “co-worker” after he tweeted about GTA 6, stated that a trailer is coming “soon” and that the game involves “one city, two different eras,” just as some other leaks have claimed. While the musician is a Grand Theft Auto fan, there is no credit for him working on the game just yet, which we have seen from other actors. So, it is worth taking the claims with a pinch of salt. Some leakers have claimed that May will hold a few answers to the GTA 6 puzzle, though we have yet to see anything just yet from Rockstar or Take-Two. Reputable insiders have stated that the long-awaited reveal of the game will come before 2022 is over, but it remains a case of wait-and-see when it comes to anything GTA 6-related.

  • GTA 6 trailer adverts are taking over YouTube but they’re not convincing – Dexerto

GTA 6 trailer adverts are taking over YouTube but they’re not convincing Rockstar/YouTube: OreoShamanTrailers for GTA 6 have been popping up across YouTube as adverts, but if you look closely, you’ll quickly realize that they’re not all that credible. Even though Rockstar Games have finally acknowledged the existence of GTA 6, there is plenty of secrecy still surrounding the highly-anticipated follow-up to Grand Theft Auto 5. While all signs are pointing to a return to Vice City and a story surrounding the cartel, the developers have remained silent on just how they’re going to do things. Insiders have claimed that Rockstar will drop screenshots and teasers before the year is out, but there’s no word on when we’ll get a trailer. Despite that, some fans have noted that there are ‘trailers’ popping up as adverts on YouTube, but they hardly pass the smell test – especially if you know what to look for. The strange ‘trailers’ were flagged by Redditor LegalWallhacks and highlighted further by YouTuber MrBossFTW, with the pair noting that they’ve popped up on YouTube recently. These trailers use footage from different games, including Saints Row, The Crew, Need For Speed: Heat, and others. The screen is filled with Rockstar and GTA watermarks though, with a ‘May 2022’ release date also highlighted. That May release date is the big giveaway to the trailers being, of course, seeing as Rockstar haven’t confirmed anything. “Surely it’s not legal to actually put R*s logo on this,” asked one GTA fan. “I almost contacted Rockstar Support over this, surely not legal at all,” added another concerned player. While previous ‘adverts’ have been aimed at getting players to sign up for fake Shark Cards and GTA Online cash, these ones are just trying to troll people into thinking GTA 6 is releasing soon. Of course, that isn’t the case, but if anything changes on that front you’ll be able to find all the latest updates with Dexerto.

  • GTA 6 to feature female protagonist for the first time with two lead characters – Dexerto

GTA 6 to feature female protagonist for the first time with two lead characters Rockstar GamesIn a Bloomberg report about Rockstar’s studio culture, details of GTA 6’s protagonist have emerged. GTA 6 may be years away, but a new report about the change in Rockstar Games’ workplace culture has revealed new information about the upcoming crime epic. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports that the studio removed transphobic jokes from Grand Theft Auto V’s next-gen release, while also narrowing the gender pay gap for employees. Schreier also reports that GTA 6 will star a pair of protagonists, influenced by Bonnie and Clyde. Of the two, one will be a female character, marking the first time the studio has made a woman playable in the game’s single-player component (players have been able to customize their own character in GTA Online). GTA 6 developer Rockstar works to overhaul studio culture According to Schreier’s report, the female protagonist will be a Latina character, and developers are “being cautious not to “punch down” by making jokes about marginalized groups”. The title, reportedly codenamed Project Americas, had originally intended to portray large areas of both North and South America before plans were altered to move to focus on a fictional version of Miami. The Bloomberg report also suggests that the developers are intending for GTA 6 to grow over time, releasing new missions and even additional cities on a regular basis. The hope amongst the studio is that this will lower the need for crunch. Schreier also notes that one employee had lauded the progress made by the company, saying that it felt like a “boys’ club transformed into a real company”, while morale is higher across the studio. The report also says that Cops ‘n’ Crooks, a mode for GTA Online, was canceled in the wake of the death of George Floyd in Summer 2020.

  • GTA 6 theory suggests more cities will be added post-launch – Dexerto

GTA 6 theory suggests more cities will be added post-launch Rockstar GamesA new Grand Theft Auto 6 theory is using comments made by Rockstar themselves to speculate that the franchise’s next installment could feature major cities of the past. [jwplayer 91I9RIGm] While Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn’t look like it will be announced soon, with GTA V being re-released on PlayStation 5, we have gotten some tidbits of info along the way. Back in April, Kotaku obtained and reported on an email from Rockstar executive Jennifer Kolbe. The report outlined a plan to mitigate crunch and long working hours. It also stated that the next Grand Theft Auto game was being worked on and was in early development. “One plan that management has laid out for the next game, a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, is to start out with a moderately sized release (which, by Rockstar’s standards, would still be a large game) that is then expanded with regular updates over time, which may help mitigate stress and crunch,” they said. The theory takes the fact that the new game is expanded with regular updates as a sign that new maps will be added. “What is something they can expand? Hmm… A map,” wrote Redditor BigDPuffin. “This exactly lines with my theory. Initially, Rockstar will release the game with [Liberty City] and [Vice City]. Then every 2-3 years add a new city or even a state eventually creating the Grand Theft Auto.” The reason this theory holds weight is because of comments Rockstar made themselves back in 2012. Rockstar wants all GTA cities in one game “Remember when long ago, a senior executive from Rockstar said that the company will eventually one day release a GTA with all the cities they’ve ever done?” BigDPuffin recalled. The comments in question were by former Rockstar North lead Leslie Benzies. During an interview with Digital Trends, he said that the company would one day like to make a GTA game where players can go back to any of the older cities from the franchise. “Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas,” he said. With the success of GTA Online, it seems likely that its evolution would see the addition of new cities – the big ones being Liberty and Vice City. We’ll only know for sure once Rockstar themselves outline their plans for GTA Online on PlayStation 5, which will be free-to-play at launch.

  • GTA 6 teaser speculation grows after players uncover more strange files in RDR2 – Dexerto

GTA 6 teaser speculation grows after players uncover more strange files in RDR2 Rockstar GamesFans have spotted more out-of-place files in Red Dead Redemption 2 that could point toward either GTA 6 or rumors that the re-release of Grand Theft Auto V on PS5 and Xbox Series is on a new engine. Rockstar has been mum on any information regarding the long-awaited announcement of GTA 6, but fans can hardly contain their excitement, combing through files of other games to find some clue for what the company is working on. Now, with GTA Online players spotting code potentially referencing the RAGE Engine used in Red Dead Redemption 2, fans think there could be some connection between RDR2 and the next Grand Theft Auto. As such, players have peeked through RDR2’s files and discovered some things that seem wildly out of place, even for the wild west. GTA Forums member ‘rollschuh2282’ noted that they found parachute-related files hidden in Red Dead. The crazy part is that the file doesn’t exist in GTA V. “Funnily that [skydive@parachute@pack] animation file does not exist in V,” they wrote and provided a photo of all the parachute animations in GTA 5. Lo and behold, the file with “pack” in its name was not among them, meaning it was unique to Red Dead 2’s code. But what would parachute files be doing in a game about cowboys? Fans believe this is either a sign towards the next-gen port of GTA V being in Red Dead Redemption 2’s engine or GTA 6. Unfortunately, it’s unclear if the files had existed since the game’s PC release or were only recently added in a newer update. This isn’t the first time fans have discovered weird files in RDR2. As Dexerto previously reported, weapon code for two variants of the Browning pistol, an L1A1 rifle and AK-47 were found back in late December. In any case, more and more evidence is mounting that something is brewing at Rockstar and it isn’t just hot coffee. Only time will tell what the future holds, especially as GTA V’s re-release draws nearer.

  • GTA 6: Take-Two CEO responds to release date question and predicts big profits – Dexerto

GTA 6: Take-Two CEO responds to release date question and predicts big profits GamerficialTake-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick dropped big news about a possible GTA 6 release date when asked about when Rockstar will be ready to ship the game. GTA 6 has become one of, if not the most, anticipated game of all time with fans anxiously awaiting for Rockstar to finally unveil the next Grand Theft Auto installment. Players got their first glimpse of the game in action following a massive leak back in 2022. Gameplay videos confirmed many rumors about the game, such as a return to Vice City and a playable female protagonist, but Rockstar has remained mum on official details. However, the wait might soon be coming to an end. During a recent interview, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two, had a very interesting response to a question about GTA 6’s release. GTA 6 release date teased by Take-Two CEO Sitting down with CNBC, Zelnick was asked point-blank when the ship date for GTA 6 will be and the CEO hinted that it could be coming in very soon. “We leave the announcement of upcoming titles to our labels and we have said we have a very robust pipeline of titles and we have a great outlook for fiscal 2025 where we’ve reiterated our belief that we’ll generate about $8 billion in net bookings,” he replied. (segment begins at 3:00) “So pretty exciting time. But we haven’t spoken about the specific release schedule and we have titles coming from all of our labels.” Zelnick had hinted that GTA 6 could be coming in 2024 or 2025 before, hyping up the predicted financials in investor calls which seemed to point towards the game finally coming out in a couple of years. This also lines up with reports by journalist Jason Schreier. When pressed about GTA 6’s development cost, rumored to be one of the most expensive games of all time to make, Zelnick was confident that the game would make a ton of cold hard cash. “The Grand Theft Auto franchise is probably perhaps the most profitable franchise in the history of entertainment. We focus on costs, of course, we have a three-part strategy. Be the most creative, be the most innovative, be the most efficient… undoubtedly a title like Grand Theft Auto will always be highly profitable,” he stated. Interestingly, the CEO once again reduced to call the upcoming game GTA 6, so it’s still unclear if the title will follow previous naming conventions or be something bigger for Rockstar. With a 2024 release looking even more likely, it may not be much longer until Rockstar breaks the internet by dropping an official trailer.

  • GTA 6 story may have leaked months ago via alleged Rockstar employee on Adin Ross stream – Dexerto

GTA 6 story may have leaked months ago via alleged Rockstar employee on Adin Ross stream Rockstar Games/Kick: AdinRossThe trailer for the game has only just dropped but we may already know more about the GTA 6 story than it lets on. A supposed Rockstar employee appeared on Adin Ross’ stream whose claims are lining up with the trailer. Rockstar has finally released its long-awaited GTA 6 reveal trailer after it was leaked on Twitter hours before the planned release. In it, we get a look at Vice City, new protagonist Lucia, and some snippets of GTA 6’s story. In the minutes following the trailer’s launch, Kick streamer Adin Ross claimed he was making a cameo in the game and would appear in its second trailer. Interestingly, it’s not all that the streamer has had to do with GTA 6. A few months ago, Ross had a guest on his Kick stream who claimed to be an employee of Rockstar and revealed what they said was information on the GTA 6 story. Now that the trailer has been released, some of the information they shared appears to align with what Rockstar has shown us. The alleged Rockstar employee began by revealing that Lucia would be the “main character” and that she would be in prison at some point. Given her starring role in the reveal trailer, it’s safe to assume she’ll take center stage and she’s shown in prison garb, meeting with a parole officer. After some complaints about the existence of women, Ross allows them to continue. “She’s gonna basically have a child that she abandons at a deli because she’s gonna go to a bank robbery,” the supposed Rockstar employee claims. “Then she’s gonna get arrested and go to jail.” This lines up with another leak, originally posted to Reddit, claiming that Lucia would have a child. This would be the first child character to appear in the GTA franchise. “The game’s going to actually start with her in prison and you’re going to have to escape from prison,” the leaker finished. This piece of info does not seem to align with what was shown in the trailer, which casts some doubt about how much this person knows about the GTA 6 story. This needs to be taken with a pretty big chunk of salt, as most GTA 6 leaks do. There hasn’t been any verification that this person is indeed a Rockstar employee, or a former one at that. Still, if Ross’ claim that he is involved in GTA 6 is true, he may have some connections. On the other side of the coin, his involvement in a leak would certainly sour his relationship with Rockstar.

  • New GTA 6 story leak is absolutely insane, but is it real? – Dexerto

New GTA 6 story leak is absolutely insane, but is it real? Rockstar Games have not even confirmed that GTA VI is in development, but that hasn’t stopped frequent ‘leaks’ about the rumored game, with the latest leak claiming to have a very detailed insight into the next Grand Theft Auto story. The speculation surrounding the next GTA game continues to build, with the popularity of the series and the massive success of GTA 5 leaving fans clamoring for more. The almost-inevitable GTA 6 game has had every element of it discussed (and supposedly leaked) including the map, how polished it will be and of course its expansive storyline. The latest leak, posted by an anonymous Reddit user, claims “Rockstar’s plans right now are to make GTA International. With Hong Kong, San Fierro, Venturas, Triad themed game in the future.” Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? – It’s important to note that while this claims to be a leak there is absolutely no evidence to back it up and therefore we advise you to take it with the proverbial grain of salt. Could it be real? Sure, it could. However, in a space where leaks are as common as any other game, it is wise to be dubious at the very least. Diving straight into it, they begin by discussing the beginning of the story: “With GTA VI the game will begin in 1970s Liberty City as you play as a low-level gangster in the Spanish Broker/Harlem district of Liberty.” The story mode will be divided in three parts – the prologue, main story and epilogue. The prologue takes place in 1978, main story 1980 and the epilogue in the present day. With a large portion of the game set at a time where mobile technology was minimal, the way you communicate in GTA 6 will be different. “A lot of modern players will have to get used to the new contact system. No mobiles. To call people, you can use payphones which are scattered around every city. Eventually once you are in the 1980s, you can gain access to a brick Phone then a Satellite Phone for International calls.” Even since 2013, when GTA V was released, the gaming world has evolved a lot. Traditionally single player modes now have co-op options and, according to this leak, GTA 6 will be no different. “GTA Online will be set in the 1980s and allow players to join another person’s main story campaign as a member of the Protagonist’s crew – up to four players can join in on a Story while the Online mode has its own Story.” Even Rockstar may not have anticipated the success GTA 5 online would be which essentially became a game in of itself. In the latest Diamond Casino & Resort update, and with previous heists, we have seen separate story modes between single player and online. It seems this has been noted and will be expanded upon for the next GTA game. Read More: All the GTA 6 leaks in one place – Elsewhere, it seems Rockstar are trying to make GTA 6 as realistic as possible: “The driving mechanics are a mix of IV realism and V arcade controls. VI on foot mechanics are more on the realistic side. If you want to bring an RPG to a mission, you have to use a van to store it in or a car with a large trunk. “Weapons can be bought and sold off on the Black Market. Your character can gain weight or lose it. He can build muscle but not unrealistically big. This is a very grand immersive ambitious title.” There will also be implications for every decision you make. Killing someone may come back to haunt you at a later date and getting arrested is no longer the 10 second inconvenience it used to be. “Imprisonment isn’t just a quick cutscene, it’s an actual punishment. You lose time, value, the respect of your peers and money. “ All of these detail can be seen in their entirety on the Reddit post, which can be read below. SWIM knows that Rockstar are notoriously serious about their NDAs but the leaks that have come out recently are about 60-70% correct. They tend to keep track of ALL current employees online profiles as Company policy. Please do not ask for information about the Source – he/she will be in serious trouble. Rockstar’s plans right now are to make GTA International. With Hong Kong, San Fierro, Venturas, Triad themed game in the future. With GTA VI the game will begin in 1970s Liberty City as you play as a low-level gangster in the Spanish Broker/Harlem district of Liberty. The game will feel very immersive, there is a weight to the way your character walks and being in Harlem feels huge. Strangers, Freaks and Friends can call or be bumped into at anytime. This is GTA IV’s Liberty. The game is divided into chapters by years, it is a Three Act story with an Epilogue. The Protagonist’s name has not been set in stone yet. He is described as a 20-something character with a Naval Officer absentee Gringo father and a South American mother. He is a Bilingual dime bag dealing, jewelry snatching criminal who enters the drug trade to support his large family in the fictional city of Republic of Castellano, South America which is Rockstar’s version of Colombia and Bolivia. During the Prologue, set in LC 1978, you are employed to kill the Boss of the Gambetti family named Sonny which leads to you heading down to Vice. The drug business is very next level. You first begin selling weed in Liberty for then end up as a Smuggler for the Pacific Cartel, an International drug syndicate based in Mexico and South America who are looking to expand into the US. Eventually, you are sent to smuggle cocaine back and forth from Vice City to Liberty. In this part, you can actually drive down to Vice from Liberty and as you earn more trust and money, you can use planes, smuggle the drugs through Escobar International through connections and bribes. Every route has it’s own risks and rewards and the DOA (Rockstar’s DEA) play a major role in the story. As you arrive in Vice City, you are given more responsibilities as a Crew Leader in the Cartel. Here you are able to assign your own smuggle operation by going to South or Central America to find a solid source for quality cocaine and as you raise higher in the Organization, you meet and are able to travel to a fictionalized South and Central America, along with Mexico. You get to have people working under you and your job is to make your cocaine import/export run smoothly for the Cartel. These people you can meet through out the game much alike Heists from GTA V – GTA Online will allow players to join campaigns with their own customized characters. Character customization is much more detailed, ethnicity, a selection of voices that allow you to lower or raise the pitch, body type, more realistic faces, clothing so think of your Online character looking like he belongs in the Story instead of the Supermodel, crazy looking online characters of GTA Online. Starting off, you can meet new contacts however the deals that usually take place in cheap motels carry the risk of being a set-up by other players, or criminals for stepped on cocaine, lower grade coke, no cash, etc. As you make money, you can invest into a fleet of planes with pilots, boats and choose routes that have a risk/reward factor financially. You have your own inner circle of friends. A storyline arc involves an Undercover FIB agent in your crew. The Pacific Cartel has an internal dispute and a war takes place on the streets of Vice City. A chapter revolves around you being actually sent to Prison and sentenced. The Prison chapter is about you surviving, making new contacts and discovering vital information and dealing with enemies while attempting to keep your business going, there are various Prison gangs with the Aryans/KKK being secondary antagonists in the story. Here’s the best part, when you are released it is the 1980s and the Pacific Cartel have split into three Cartels – Madrazo, Sr leads the Mexican Cartel, “Matriarch” leads the South American Cartel and “Dictator’s Son” runs the Central American Gunrunning Cartel. You can work for Madrazo Sr. (Good Choice), Matriarch (Neutral Choice) or Dictator’s Son (Bad Choice). Madrazo moves back to Mexico and leaves you in charge of the Vice Cartel, “Matriarch” leaves you with much of a higher grade quality of cocaine and a different type of Cartel, “Dictator’s Son” leaves you without anything but all-out war. You also have a strong rival, who is described as an Anton Chigurh type of freelance Hitman named ‘The Mexican’. You have multiple, scripted very intense encounters with him and acts and moves like the Nemesis from RE3. Hard to kill. As your organization is being taken down, you two end up becoming allies and team up. The gameplay is much more reserved than previous games, with various paths you can take which lead to multiple endings. You can hold up to two or three handguns on your person, for larger weapons you need a duffle bag to use them. Trunks have a use such as storing cocaine packages, weapons and bodies. If you are busted, you are sent to Prison for a period of time which is not playable (only the Chapter) The aim of the game is become the main kingpin of the United States. In Liberty, the Five Families make a return, the 1970s Spanish Lords and Black Harlem gangs. Cocaine can be broken down into crack and you are pushed by the IAA to flood Black neighborhoods with crack-cocaine. There are SIX main locations which is the main theme of the game. Main Cities Liberty City (Limited Area) Vice City (Main City) Rio de Neve, South America (Rio de Janeiro, Main City) Republic of Castellano, South America (Mix of Bolivia and Colombia, Main City) Minor Cities People’s Republic of del Castro, Central America (Fictional Central American island based on Panama and Cuba, Island) Mexico (Mexico, Limited Area) Prologue: 1978 Main Story: 1980s Epilogue: Present Day A lot of modern players will have to get use to the new contact system. No mobiles. To call people, you can use payphones which are scattered around every city. Eventually once you are in the 1980s, you can gain access to a brick Phone then a Satellite Phone for International calls. However, GTA Online will be set in the 1980s and allow players to join another person’s main story campaign as a member of the Protagonist’s crew – up to four players can join in on a Story while the Online mode has it’s own Story. You can choose different classes: the Undercover, Cartel member or a member of one of the Five Families with only Liberty, Vice Playable. You will be able to run your own crews and work for the Story mode’s Bosses to earn money. Each class has their own perks, being Undercover allows you to report back to your Staff Sergeant in either Vice or Liberty, working for the Cartel allows you to help smuggle drugs from Vice to Liberty and being apart of one of the Five Families can allow you to become a “Made Man”. The driving mechanics are a mix of IV realism and V arcade controls. VI on foot mechanics are more on the realistic side. If you want to bring an RPG to a mission, you have to use a van to store it in or a car with a large trunk. Weapons can be bought and sold off on the Black Market. Your character can gain weight or lose it. He can build muscle but not unrealistically big. This is a very grand immersive ambitious title. One thing that became the main focus of GTA 6 is immersion and feeling like any and everybody can be approached, the ability to feel like you are apart of an epic crime drama while blending cut scenes, gameplay and events with a dynamic system that feels like a living world with real people with set populations. You kill someone like a civilian? Expect the Vice Dade to investigate it. This can come back to bite you later as days or weeks pass, you could be arrested. Imprisonment isn’t just a quick cutscene, it’s an actual punishment. You lose time, value, the respect of your peers and money. Having a close friend in your crew being an Undercover FIB Agent is meant to jolt your emotional sensibilities. Rockstar are really pushing the boundaries of establishing relationships with the people around you then having you make tough choices. Want to be Tony Montana? Then imagine playing Red Dead 2 as Arthur, finding out Charles or Mary Beth were working for the Pinkertons then knowing you have to put a bullet in their skull then getting rid of the body.

  • GTA 6 story is “finished” according to Rockstar insider – Dexerto

GTA 6 story is “finished” according to Rockstar insider Rockstar GamesSupposed Rockstar insider Chris ‘Liberty93’ has potentially revealed some new details about GTA 6, claiming that some people have told him that the story is finished. Grand Theft Auto fans across the globe have been clamoring for some indication that GTA VI is around the corner and set to be released. Though, after multiple insiders claimed that it was set to be announced in March, hopes of seeing the game this year were somewhat dashed. Kotaku’s Jason Schrier poured further cold water on things by claiming that the was barely in early production – but reliable Rockstar insider TezFun stated that it was actually about 70% done. Now, another that appears to be in the loop has stepped up with apparent sources of their own. Chris, who is also known as Liberty93 on Rockstar Mag, claimed that he had been informed that the story was completed prior to Dan Houser’s departure from Rockstar. “If Dan [Houser], who’s writing the story, leaves Rockstar it’s kind of a bit of Rockstar’s soul which is leaving,” the Frenchman said on the Rockstar Mag live stream. “People tell me I shouldn’t be worried because GTA VI’s story is already finished. It could be true, but Red Dead Redemption 2’s story was finished in 2012, but they still made changes in late 2017, early 2018, and many little details were modified.” https://twitter.com/xdaniesp1/status/1252058125345206273?s=21 Liberty93 also noted that they had contacted sources at Rockstar after a story that the game had only just entered early development shocked many fans. “In our video that came Thursday night, we told you that it’s not true. According to our trustworthy sources, the game has been in dev since 2017,” he added, before noting that he even looked into TezFun’s claims as well. “Of course, I looked into it and the pre-production officially began in late 2014 and the real production in 2015.” https://twitter.com/xdaniesp1/status/1252058517843972102?s=21 While the claims that the story is finished will signal to some fans that the game is closer than everyone’s thinks, there is no way of knowing if that is the case just yet. Some have claimed that the game will be released before the end of 2020, however, Rockstar hasn’t officially announced that they’re working on GTA 6 – let alone even started advertising it. So, this wait could be going on for a little while longer yet.

  • Will GTA 6 have single-player? – Dexerto

Will GTA 6 have single-player? RockstarGTA 6 received its first official trailer on December 4, 2023, where fans got a first look into what the game has to offer. However, a big question in the minds of the players is whether it will have a single-player campaign or not. GTA 6 is by far the most anticipated game in the current day. Ever since its official announcement, fans have wanted nothing but more information on the brand new Rockstar title that will for sure define industry standards in the coming days. As it happens, one of the biggest reasons behind the success of GTA as a franchise is a story mode that can span for hours and provide a gripping narrative for the players. Hence, it is only natural that players are asking whether GTA 6 will have a single-player or not. Here is all we know about a single-player mode in GTA 6. Is GTA 6 going to have a single-player mode? Yes, based on what we know so far, GTA 6 will have a single-player mode. Alongside the trailer, the developers released a press release as well with information about the game. The press release mentioned that with GTA 6, Rockstar is going to provide an open-world story-driven experience that players have never experienced. Therefore, it is safe to say that the game will feature a single-player story mode and it will be quite big as well. Rockstar’s statement pretty much makes it clear that GTA 6 will be the biggest game in the series to date and that is understandable too considering it will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S. All three of these consoles have demonstrated their prowess in driving modern-day technological and visual advancements in gaming. Apart from that, Rockstar is known to make games that will be played for several years in the future. Hence, it is quite easy to get an idea of the scale that the developers are targeting. In any case, fans will have to wait for a while as the game is not going to be released until 2025. This is all we know so far about GTA 6 by Rockstar Games. • GTA 6 setting hinted at in Rockstar Games job posting – Dexerto

GTA 6 setting hinted at in Rockstar Games job posting Rockstar GamesAs speculation surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to grow, a new job posting by Rockstar Games could provide a major clue in determining the setting of the next title. Despite not being officially announced, GTA 6 is already one of the most anticipated games of all time, especially given the success of GTA 5 and the resurgence of GTA Online on Twitch. While there have been numerous rumors about the next entry, the one that has seen the most exposure is the Project Americas leak. The leak, which first emerged back in 2018, claimed that GTA 6 would be taking place in Vice City and South America with the protagonist having ties to the Cartel. Many Project Americas rumors also include references to the 1980s, suggesting that GTA 6 will see the franchise return to the past for its next entry. Now, however, fans are theorizing that a new job posting hints that GTA 6 will have a modern setting after all. The Rockstar India job posting for a “mixed media animator” includes some details that seem to suggest that the game will be closer to today’s timeline than originally thought. THEORY: GTA 6 might not be in the 1980s time, here’s why. Rockstar recently posted out a job for India looking for “”Mixed Media Animator””. “”We create content for in-game Media”” “”We work on Multiple platforms”” Remember Life Invader and all of these websites?#GTAVI pic.twitter.com/OCDUpD0Y8c— GTA 6 NEWS (@GTAVInewz) April 12, 2021 In the ‘What We Do’ section of the listing, Rockstar explained that the team “[creates] content for In-game media for our game world to make immersive experiences,” “work as a global animation team to provide believable experience to players,” and “work on multiple platforms to create multiple style of content for In-game Media.” Fans believe in-game media refers to websites found within the game world such as Life Invader, GTA’s numerous TV shows and other content to flesh out the world. If GTA 6 was in the 80s, it seems unlikely that websites would play a part of in-game media. Of course, this doesn’t mean Grand Theft Auto 6 could do fully modern either. It’s fully possible that this could mean the setting would be the 90s or even 2000s. That is, if this job listing is really for GTA 6 like some fans believe. Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt until Rockstar makes an official announcement, but the fact that fans are checking out job listings for clues is a big indication that this game’s hype is reaching unrivaled levels.

  • GTA 6 rumors spread again as mystery page appears on Rockstar website – Dexerto

GTA 6 rumors spread again as mystery page appears on Rockstar website Rockstar GamesRockstar Games have been peppered with questions over a GTA 6 release date for years now, and some fans think they have finally found the first clue for its big reveal. The developers are reportedly preparing an unnamed surprise announcement. As Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption fans will know, the ultimate source for Rockstar’s official news posts is Newswire. Here, updates for both RDR2 and GTA Online are regularly posted. On April 6, the developers posted a news page for Naturalist rewards, but just a day later speculation is growing about something with much more broad appeal. More clues have surfaced on their website and it could be good news for GTA fans. Mysterious page appears on Rockstar’s website Prominent leaker Tez2 posted something very interesting to the GTA Forums, and that’s been doubled down by YouTuber MrBossFTW. Tez posted: “So, Rockstar skipped an article once again. Could mean nothing or simply reserved for a ‘GTA Online Job Spotlight’ article etc. Heck, may not even have to do with GTA Online.” The dead page has zero information or clues to it, really, so the actual contents could be anything. It is numbered 62005 and that’s about as far as it gets in terms of clues. YouTuber hints that GTA 6 news is possible MrBossFTW said: “Now I think many people are very hopeful that this is going to be either for the expanded and enhanced version of GTA 5, the standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online – although those would likely be announced together. Or potentially what is next for Grand Theft Auto Online.” In a later message, Tez2 claimed it was “not related to GTA Online” – and that really put the cat amongst the pigeons. MrBoss FTW added: “I think that this is a clear indication this is very likely for some title in the future, like a new new title. Or that this is for something like a remaster of older Grand Theft Auto games.” Potentially GTA remasters? Nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing, in terms of the content of this news post. It could be something as dull as a minor GTA Online update, for all we know, or fans could hit the jackpot with GTA 6. To the point of MrBoss, there have been strong indications in the past, from Rockstar themselves, that future remasters for Grand Theft Auto games are on the table. In a previous statement, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick had promised the “very best” versions of old games will be delivered. “We don’t just port titles over, we actually take the time to do the very best job we can making the title different for the new release, for the new technology that we’re launching it on,” Zelnick said. “So, we improve the technology, we upgrade the visuals, and we make performance enhancements. And that’s why I think our remastered titles typically do so well.” None have been announced in terms of historical content, but we are going to see GTA Online get a facelift for the new generation of consoles – PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. For more information on GTA Online next-gen, here’s everything we know.

  • GTA 6 rumors sparked as Rockstar update development studio design – Dexerto

GTA 6 rumors sparked as Rockstar update development studio design Rockstar themselves have sparked rumors that a new game announcement is on the way, possibly Grand Theft Auto VI, as they make a major update to their Rockstar North studio in Edinburgh, Scotland. Rockstar North is the primary development studio for the GTA series, based in Holyrood, Edinburgh, and since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 their facade has been emblazoned with a large poster for the game. However, as speculation has mounted about a potential new game announcement from Rockstar, potentially GTA 6 or Bully 2, the removal of this billboard for Red Dead has got fans anticipating some news coming soon. Red Dead Redemption 2 was of course a massive success for Rockstar, raking in over $725 million in its first weekend of sales, and it’s much-improved online mode is keeping the player base strong months after release. However, despite its success, Red Dead Redemption 2 is actually being outshone by GTA V’s online mode, which recently hit a peak player count – five years after release. Some think that GTA Online’s continued success could in fact delay a new GTA, while others think it could be the perfect storm to make a new game announcement. Of course, there’s every chance that this is completely meaningless, but it’s worth noting that before Red Dead Redemption 2 was released, a large poster with the three main GTA V protagonists, Trevor, Franklin and Michael, was on the front of Rockstar’s previous headquarters in Edinburgh city center. If an announcement is forthcoming, it could also be GTA Online related, considering its recent boom in popularity, but fans are all hoping it’s an announcement of a brand new game instead. H/T: EdinburghLive The most likely release for a new Rockstar game will come on next generation consoles, with Microsoft and Sony both set to launch the new Xbox and PlayStation in late 2020. Rockstar’s releases have all been generation defining, starting with classics like GTA: Vice City and San Andreas, then GTA IV and V – could the sixth entry be setting up to dominate the next-gen?

  • GTA 6 fans demand rework for Rockstar Editor in new game – Dexerto

GTA 6 fans demand rework for Rockstar Editor in new game Take-Two InteractivePlayers eagerly awaiting GTA 6 shared a list of changes they hope Rockstar Games will add to the Rockstar Editor that debuted in GTA 5. The Rockstar Editor became available to Grand Theft Auto 5’s PC audience in 2015. Rockstar later launched the editor for PS4 and Xbox One, as well. And though it’s exclusive to the story mode, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players similarly have access to the editing tools. This particular feature provides players with the tools to record, edit, and share in-game videos from the story campaign and GTA Online. As with most user-generated features, however, the Rockstar Editor boasts a few lingering issues that players hope developers will eventually address. Fan creates wishlist for the hopeful Rockstar Editor in GTA 6 Theseus666 has taken to Reddit to outline a list of changes they’d like Rockstar to implement in the Rockstar Editor for Grand Theft Auto’s next major outing. One request involves the ability to store all created clips on the user’s console or an external hard drive. The hope is that such a rework would allow for longer recordings without worrying about storage space. Other features like advanced color grading and 4K rendering also received mention. The Reddit user additionally submitted the idea of allowing players to share their film projects through in-game cinemas that NPCs and fellow players can visit. Theseus666’s full wishlist reads as follows: Of course, a few of the Redditor’s wants seem a little farfetched, particularly the “larger circle of capture” and cinema ideas. But the likes of 4K rendering capabilities will hopefully constitute a must-have addition if GTA 6 does launch with a Rockstar Editor in two. For now, though, details about the GTA’s next mainline adventure remain scarce at best. Rockstar just this year confirmed that development on the new title is “well underway.”

  • GTA 6 rival EVERYWHERE set for PS5 & Xbox Series X release – Dexerto

GTA 6 rival EVERYWHERE set for PS5 & Xbox Series X release Build a Rocket BoyEVERYWHERE is a game being developed by several former Rockstar devs, and it seems like it’ll be coming out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S after moving to the Unreal Engine. [jwplayer Gd3gIdIX] While every Grand Theft Auto fan is waiting, patiently or not, for any kind of news on GTA 6 from Rockstar, we might have something else to look forward to as well. EVERYWHERE is a mysterious new title being developed by Build A Rocket Boy Studio, which includes well-known Rockstar alumni like Leslie Benzies. According to a new update from the devs, we could see it come out on this latest generation of consoles thanks to a change of its game engine. On November 13, Benzies announced on the game’s official site that EVERYWHERE is now running on the Unreal Engine, and that there are now more than 400 people working on the development team. “The [Unreal] engine’s tech advances over the last two years, and Epic Games’ roadmap provides us a great opportunity to create a game built on a foundation that will remain at the forefront of the industry for years to come,” Benzies wrote. EVERYWHERE was previously being developed on Amazon’s Lumberyard engine. But, the Unreal Engine is considered to be the most powerful 3D creation engine in the world and will support the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, along with the previous generation of both as well. Along with the big game engine swap, Build a Rocket Boy has also had another round of funding, but unlike the previous one which netted them a cool $42 million, a figure for the latest haul hasn’t been released. EVERYWHERE is described as an open-world sci-fi title, and with a crew of former Rockstar employees at the helm, people are expecting it to give the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series a run for its money. However, we’ll just have to wait and see what the game is actually all about once it’s revealed.

  • GTA 6 reveal trailer song soars on Spotify as millions flock to set new streaming peak – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal trailer song soars on Spotify as millions flock to set new streaming peak RockstarWhile Rockstar’s highly anticipated GTA 6 reveal trailer set plenty of records in its own right, the song playing throughout has also now climbed to new heights off the back of its success. A decade on from GTA 5, gamers around the world finally got their first look at the sequel earlier this week. GTA 6 was revealed in full on December 4 and it didn’t take long for the first footage to explode across the internet. In just one day it became YouTube’s quickest-growing non-music video, taking the throne from MrBeast. And just hours later it eclipsed lifetime stats on GTA 5’s reveal trailer from 12 years ago, soaring past 100 million views in no time at all. Thanks to its unprecedented success, not only has the trailer been everywhere, but so too has the accompanying song. Tom Petty’s 1989 track ‘Love Is A Long Road’ has similarly taken flight on Spotify as millions have added the track to their daily mix. Just a few days since the GTA 6 trailer went online, streams for the Tom Petty song on Spotify have reportedly increased by a staggering 36,979%. Spotify informed the BBC of this jaw-dropping surge a mere 48 hours after the video first went live. This rapid climb is compared to its streams on the platform in the week prior, a sudden burst the music streaming platform has allegedly never seen the like of. Spotify supposedly claimed it’s seen similar spikes for soundtracks before, “but never like this.” Comparing it to a recent project, BBC cited HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation for following a similar trend. Linda Ronstadt’s Long Long Time had its streams balloon by 4,900%, according to Spotify. Nowhere close to the GTA 6-fuelled growth for Tom Petty. Another similar example would be Stranger Things Season 4 and its contribution to Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill. Following its feature in the hit Netflix show, the track hit number one on multiple singles charts and racked up over 137 million Spotify streams after the fact. Whether Love Is A Long Road will have that kind of staying power thanks to GTA 6, remains to be seen. It’s obviously still early days, but there’s no denying the cultural impact of the franchise. Just a brief snippet has set the internet ablaze and evidently, everything else along with it. Sharing their enthusiasm on Twitter, Tom Petty’s estate said the musician “loved contributing” previous works to earlier GTA titles like San Andreas. “So it is an honor to have ‘Love Is A Long Road’ featured in trailer one for GTA 6.”

  • GTA 6 reveal trailer gets the Elder Scrolls treatment in hysterical recreation – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal trailer gets the Elder Scrolls treatment in hysterical recreation Rockstar Games/Bethesda SoftworksThe GTA 6 trailer has shaken off the sand of the vibrant Vice City in favor of some Vvaardenfell ash. For those of you who aren’t massive nerds, that means someone recreated it in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. It feels like a lifetime ago that the GTA 6 reveal trailer was unceremoniously leaked, forcing Rockstar’s hand to give us the goods early. Of course, it feels like there’s another lifetime between us and the game’s 2025 release. Fans had been so eager for the next installment of the GTA franchise that the trailer for GTA 6 drew in more views in two days than the GTA 5 trailer did in ten years. With nothing to do but wait, fans have started a trend of recreating the GTA 6 trailer in other games including Cyberpunk 2077 and Minecraft. The next installment of this creative venture comes courtesy of Twitter user Micky D who has done their best to capture the essence of the GTA 6 trailer using clips from The Elder Scrolls 3. It’s remarkable how similar Florida is to the nightmarish Hellscape of Morrowind. Micky D’s recreation is of course backed by the Tom Petty banger Love is a Long Road but rather than the beaches of Vice City, it begins with a pan over the coastline of Morrowind. The game’s dated graphics add an undertone of hilarity as the low poly NPCs move throughout the world. A brief shot of what is meant to be a strip club is particularly chuckle-inducing. Rather than the more grounded wildlife of Rockstar’s Florida stand-in, flamingoes, and reptiles are replaced with the horrifying creatures that make Morrowind their home. There are the oddly tentacled and gigantic Netch’s, as well as some hideous bug used in a pretty stellar recreation of the GTA 6 trailer’s alligator in a convenience store. Micky D actually went the extra mile and even added some TikTok-style overlays to really capture the vibe of the original trailer. Their user names are even cheeky nods to events in The Elder Scrolls 3. While the mushroom huts of Morrowind may not be as glamorous as the highrise apartments of Vice City, Micky D did a pretty great job with what they had. The recreation is definitely worth a watch for fans of either franchise and we’ve added the original GTA 6 trailer so the seven people on the planet who haven’t seen it yet can compare the two.

  • GTA 6 reveal trailer Easter eggs: Vice City references, Florida lore and more – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal trailer Easter eggs: Vice City references, Florida lore and more Rockstar GamesThe first GTA 6 trailer has finally dropped, with the Easter egg hunt already underway as fans examine the footage frame by frame. Here are some of the most notable from the video, including nods to GTA Vice City, real Florida locations, and pop culture moments from the state that has inspired the location for the next installment. After years of waiting, fans have finally gotten the first GTA 6 trailer. Despite initially leaking online, developer Rockstar was quick to officially drop the trailer, albeit a bit earlier than they had previously planned. As one can expect from such a dedicated fanbase, GTA lovers have already begun pointing out various Easter eggs and references throughout the minute and thirty-second-long announcement trailer. Some of which pay homage to the real-life history of the city of Florida, with others also referencing previous GTA games and lore. Without further ado, here is a breakdown of some of the biggest Easter eggs noticed so far, with many more likely to arrive in the coming days. Contents: GTA 6 Vice City Easter eggs – Florida landmark Easter eggs – Florida pop culture Easter Eggs – GTA 6 music Easter eggs – GTA 6 Easter eggs pay homage to Vice City Many GTA fans were thrilled when it was revealed that GTA 6 would be returning to a familiar location, with the new game confirmed to feature Vice City as a prominent location once again. As a result, fans were quick to point out a variety of moments from the game that pay tribute to the 2002 classic title. Vice City car still spawns in the same location in GTA 6 One such Vice City Easter egg that eagle-eyed fans picked up takes place at the 33-second mark of the trailer. The shot, which includes a spanning view of very expensive-looking cars driving down the road, includes a vehicle that many may recognize from Vice City. At the very back of the shot, a yellow car can be seen parked on the side of the road. While this may not seem like much on the surface, Redditor ‘sidtheslug’ was quick to point out that it appears to be a revamped version of the same car that could always be found in the exact location in Vice City. “THE YELLOW CAR IS PARKED OUTSIDE THE OCEAN VIEW WHERE IT USUALLY SPAWNS IN VICE CITY.” Florida landmarks & stores teased throughout the trailer The location for GTA 6 is heavily inspired by Florida, with this first trailer making that clear based off of locations and various posters littered throughout the footage. Flannigan’s restaurant chain Easter egg At the 1:18 mark, a Flannigan’s logo can be seen on the door of the store that is about to be raided. This is a direct reference to a chain of restaurants found in the South of Florida that is both popular and a source of entertainment for the locals. Florida landmark Easter eggs Speaking of locations, a wide shot of the trailers reveals something that looks almost exactly like the real-life landmark of the Florida Keys as well as the Everglade. Given that these are both located in the southern part of Florida, this could indicate that the map will be large and that the trailer has only shown a small section of what players will be able to explore. Florida pop culture Easter eggs riddled throughout GTA 6 trailer As well as real-life locations, the GTA 6 trailer also includes many Easter eggs about the lore and major news stories from Florida. And while GTA 6 will not be set explicitly in Florida, the city will be called Leonida. Florida Man spoof Easter egg These rumors are in light of an Easter egg from the trailer that makes note of someone called Leonida Man, a potential nod to the famous Florida Man meme and TV series. Real Life Joker from Florida hinted at as well Another notable figure from the city that appears in the trailer is the infamous criminal Florida Joker. Back in 2022, a model from the state was arrested, with the case going viral after his mugshot and facial tattoos resembled the DC Comics villain. At the 1:05 mark of the trailer, the footage cuts to a new report of a criminal who strikes a very similar resemblance to the real-life figure. Gator scare in store One part of the trailer shows security cam footage of an alligator entering a convenience store. Many believe that this is a nod to a real-life situation, where in 2013 a gator forced a Walmart store in Apopka, Florida to lock its doors as it waited outside. Florida man does yard work naked In 2018, a man from South Florida made headlines after being filmed doing his yard work and cleaning his car while… naked. In the GTA 6 trailer, there’s a striking resemblance to the moment, as one frame shows a male character stripped down into Speedos and a golf cap watering his lawn. Miami Vice inspiration takes center stage One of the very first shots from the first GTA 6 trailer sets the tone of the game in a big way. The shot of the speedboat trundling through the water resembles the open credits of the 2006 series, Miami Vice. G GTA 6 music Easter eggs Lastly, it wouldn’t be a GTA title without music taking center stage at some point. With each new title, classic songs fill the in-game radio stations, a feature that has become a staple of any GTA game. Trailer music artist referenced in-game Already, fans of the series are googling the name of the song that plays throughout the trailer. However, the footage show also pays homage to the music. A GTA fan posted on Twitter an in-game Easter egg of “a sticker found on a door that says Petty Forever you can see it at 1:16 on the right.” This could very likely be a nod to Tom Perry, the artist who sings the song Love is Long Road which plays throughout the first GTA 6 trailer. For the moment, these are the main Easter eggs that have been found throughout the GTA 6 announcement trailer. However, there are likely to be many more that pop up in the coming days and weeks. As a result, be sure to check back in on this article as we keep it updated with all the latest Easter egg hints. • GTA 6 reveal teased by Sony and everybody’s freaking out – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal teased by Sony and everybody’s freaking out Rockstar GamesSony may have teased a GTA 6 announcement next week with hints at a modern Vice City setting. Grand Theft Auto 6 is the most anticipated new game release, for the simple fact that no one knows when it is even coming. For years GTA fans and insiders have been nibbling at morsels of leaks, rumors, and theories about what the sixth game might look like and when it would drop. While there is still no official confirmation about the status of GTA 6, fans believe that they may have gotten their best hint yet as to when more news will drop. Sony teases possible GTA 6 announcement & Vice City connection On October 18, Sony posted a TikTok showing the “most iconic intro songs on your PS2” with the GTA San Andreas intro screen. Naturally, this compelled commenters to pitch their favorites for the most iconic intro songs, with Kingdom Hearts, Sly Cooper, and Metal Gear all getting shout outs. However, one commenter asked for the introduction to the game previous to San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Sony cryptically answered “20th anniversary is coming up too 👀”, prompting wild speculation from the GTA 6 community. Given the rumors that GTA 6 could take players back to Vice City, an announcement coming on the 20th anniversary of the original GTA: Vice City’s release of October 29 would make sense. Of course, nothing official is confirmed yet, but many fans are hopeful that those eye emojis mean that Sony knows something we don’t about the future of the Grand Theft Auto series.

  • GTA 6 reveal reportedly imminent with full trailer arriving in December – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal reportedly imminent with full trailer arriving in December Rockstar GamesThe highly anticipated reveal of GTA 6, one a decade in the making, finally appears to be nearing its end. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has reported a reveal is set to take place imminently, with a full trailer to follow in December. GTA fans may finally be able to exhale. After a 10-year gap between mainline titles, the hotly anticipated GTA 6 appears to be entering the spotlight. A formal GTA 6 reveal is reportedly set to take place in the coming days, even “as early as this week,” according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. Following that, a full trailer for the sequel will supposedly drop at some stage in December. Rather than YouTubers or faceless Twitter accounts circulating rumors, this intel coming directly from Schreier, the most credible journalist in the video game industry, thus carries weight. If history repeats, it’s likely we’ll see nothing more than a single graphic to start. Whether that be a proper GTA 6 logo itself, or simply just a new color scheme over the Rockstar logo, we’ll have to wait and see. Though the latter is exactly what happened ahead of Red Dead Redemption 2’s grand reveal back in 2016. As for the trailer, there’s no telling exactly what fans can expect just yet. GTA 5’s reveal gave us a first look at Los Santos with some narration from one-third of our main cast in Michael De Santa. Perhaps we’ll get our first official look at GTA 6’s reported two protagonists this time around. Unfortunately for Rockstar, this won’t be the first time everyone sees GTA 6. Last year’s infamous hack marked arguably the biggest video game leak of all time as dozens of GTA 6 gameplay clips spilled out online. From locations to gameplay systems and the aforementioned characters, a great deal hit the web earlier than intended. Once the formal reveal arrives, avid gamers around the globe may finally have a better understanding of when they can expect to get their hands on Rockstar’s next big hit. While various insider reports and claims on the internet have pointed to either a 2024 or 2025 release, we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • GTA 6 reveal leads to skeptical Redditor drinking their own urine – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal leads to skeptical Redditor drinking their own urine Rockstar GamesGTA 6 may just be one of the most anticipated video games of all time. And while it’s official confirmation from Rockstar should be a cause for celebration for most fans, one fan has now had to drink their own urine as a result of a promise they made to the GTA community. The journey to GTA 6 has been a perilous one fraught with misinformation and shattered hopes. For those starving for official news, the wait is finally at an end. A fast-moving series of events led to the GTA 6 announcement leaking just hours before Rockstar officially revealed that a trailer is finally coming. Since then Take-Two has even revealed a potential release window. Of course, with the years-long trail of misdirection and red herrings, certain fans were skeptical of the GTA 6 announcement leak. None more so than Reddit user u/JohnnyRockhard62 who made a solemn vow to drink their own urine should the leaks prove true. After being taken at their word and hounded by users in the GTA Subreddit, u/JohnnyRockhard62 elaborated on their plan. “Plan is to record a video of me pissing into a coffee cup … then I’ll drink it,” they explained. Unfortunately for u/JohnnyRockhard62, within 24 hours of their promise, Rockstar announced GTA 6. “Less than a f**king day too,” they bemoaned as an astonishing number of users in the comments reveled in their peer’s misfortune. True to their word, u/JohnnyRockhard62 has since edited the initial post with a video of them urinating in a nondescript mug and imbibing the liquid. We urge caution when watching the aptly titled ‘gta6pissdrinker’. Some users were not entirely sure that this was as awful for u/JohnnyRockhard62 as they had made it out to be. “Sounds like this guy is just looking for a reason to drink p*ss,” one user posited. Regardless of how much u/JohnnyRockhard62 did or did not enjoy drinking their own urine, let it never be said they were not a person of their word. Hopefully, this serves as a cautionary tale for future skeptics not to take their doubt too far. • GTA 6 reveal easter egg supposedly hidden in Remastered Trilogy trailer – Dexerto

GTA 6 reveal easter egg supposedly hidden in Remastered Trilogy trailer Rockstar GamesSome Grand Theft Auto fans believe that the trailer for the GTA Trilogy remasters may hold some clues about the reveal of GTA 6, with some suggesting a date was hidden in plain sight. It’s been ten years since Rockstar Games first announced GTA 5, but the wait for an announcement about GTA 6 is still ongoing. Many fans assumed that the developers would have announced it by now and started building towards a release date, but that’s not happened. Instead, the only new GTA release coming soon is the GTA Trilogy remastered definitive edition. GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas have been given a modern-day facelift, and plenty of fans are excited to dive back in for the nostalgia trip. However, there are some who believe that the remasters may hold the key to getting a GTA 6 reveal, and maybe even getting a release date to look forward to. After Rockstar dropped the trailer showcasing the new look that the remastered games would have, players started combing through it scene-by-scene hoping to find some secrets. Well, it appears they may have found one. During the scene where Tommy Vercetti is riding a motorbike, his license plate has the Vice City tag above the letters ‘ICSLV’. Some fans have quickly taken that to mean “Vice City is coming soon” with the LV representing 55 in roman numerals. 55 days after the trailer was dropped would be December 16, a date that has previously been mooted as a reveal for GTA 6 by some supposed leakers. https://twitter.com/NEWSLEAKSGTAS/status/1452335437020815360 Now, of course, this is just a theory from fans and they could have found something that they believe is a hint from Rockstar, but turns out to be nothing at all. With the developers releasing the remasters and working on a next-gen port for GTA 5, a reveal of GTA 6 seems a bit unrealistic but we’ll have to wait and see.

  • GTA 6 reportedly still years away due to “very turbulent” development – Dexerto

GTA 6 reportedly still years away due to “very turbulent” development Rockstar GamesDespite being in the works for years, there has been little to no news regarding the development timeline of GTA 6. However, a recent claim from an industry insider suggests the game is still a long time away from release. After the mammoth success that has become GTA V, fans have been waiting patiently for any news or updates as to when they can expect a new GTA game to drop. With GTA V almost being a 10-year-old game at this point, fans are expecting GTA 6 to be well in the works. Rockstar did confirm earlier this year that GTA 6 was in fact in development but other than that small confirmation, nothing else has really been said. Though much appears to have been leaked online about the potential storyline and characters of the game. In the latest report, an insider has seemingly revealed that the game is nowhere near ready for release. As first reported in ComicBook.com, notable GTA 6 insider Tom Henderson has discussed the potential release date for GTA 6 and given a status update on how its development is fairing. According to Henderson, GTA 6 development is “very turbulent” at this point in time but assures that this instability shouldn’t cause too much alarm. That these issues are simply standard development setbacks like personnel change-ups and of course, delays as a result of the ongoing global crisis. Henderson also stated that he expects GTA 6 to launch in either 2024 or 2025. Given that this release date has been heavily rumored and discussed for months now, it’s likely that this time frame is quite accurate. While it may reassure players to hear that the game’s development is seemingly on track, odds are it won’t stop fans from creating even more memes about the game’s delayed release. The lingering release of GTA 6 has now been to compared to the way Half-Life 3 is still to this day discussed and wished for. GTA V still managing to sell well after almost 10 years Meanwhile, GTA V is still managing to uphold its legacy as one of the best-selling games of all time. After initially releasing in 2013, GTA V has gone on to have multiple remastered versions and re-releases to great success. Unfortunately, not everything has been smooth sailing for Rockstar when it comes to remasters. The developers were under major criticism after Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition dropped last year. The remaster was touted as a failure by many due to its vast performance issues and graphical bugs. The game featured updated versions of the beloved GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas titles. Unfortunately, these remastered versions were barely playable and were riddled with game-breaking glitches. With the failure of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition still very much so on the minds of fans, here’s hoping Rockstar are able to release some sort of update for GTA 6 soon to help renew excitement and anticipation for its eventual release.

  • GTA 6 reportedly still “on schedule” despite 2026 delay fears – Dexerto

GTA 6 reportedly still “on schedule” despite 2026 delay fears Rockstar GamesGTA 6 is reportedly still “on schedule” for launch in 2025 despite some recent fears that the long-awaited game could be delayed as late as 2026. At the end of 2023, Rockstar Games finally answered the questions that many Grand Theft Auto fans had been waiting for as they revealed the first trailer for GTA 6. That confirmed that yes, we will be going back to Vice City, and that we’ll be playing the story of Lucia and Jason. Since then, things have been a little quiet on Rockstar’s end. The devs haven’t offered up any other updates about GTA 6, but recalled swaths of developers back to their studios for security measures. Those devs, though, aren’t too pleased about that as they’re no longer allowed to work from home. That move was supposed to signal the final stretch of development on GTA 6, but Kotaku reported that some devs believe a delay to the proposed ‘early’ 2025 release is inevitable, with 2026 being used as a fallback option. However, Insider Gaming’s Mike Straw has now disputed those claims, reporting that things are still well on schedule. “Saying this again since people are still running with it: I’ve reached out to multiple sources and was told the game was “on schedule” and that any suggestion of a delay at this point in development is “pure conjecture”, Straw tweeted on March 25. He added that Rockstar never “fully confirmed” a launch in Q1 of 2025, just a release in 2025. “But nothing I’ve heard suggests 2026 unless something drastic changes,” Straw concluded. Rockstar and Take-Two, their publishers, always keep things radio silent until they have something to reveal and that’s what creates some worry within the GTA community. Hopefully we hear something official before long that clears things up and puts everyone at ease.

  • GTA 6 fans believe new Rockstar job ad narrows down release window – Dexerto

GTA 6 fans believe new Rockstar job ad narrows down release window Take-Two InteractiveFans believe they’ve narrowed down a release window for GTA 6, thanks to a new job listing for developer Rockstar Games. After years of rumors and speculation, Rockstar Games finally unleashed a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 in December 2023. at The sneak peek’s final few moments promised a 2025 launch window, without hinting at which part of the year would bring the game to store shelves. Such a nebulous time frame hasn’t stopped eager GTA faithful from making passing guesses. And it seems the guessing game will continue to ramp up if discourse surrounding a recent job ad is anything to go by. Rockstar job ad could hint at release window for GTA 6 Over the weekend, Reddit user TwistLT spotted a new job posting for Rockstar Lincoln, the company’s North Hykeham-based satellite in the UK. The ad is for a Russian localization role, specifically a contract gig that will last for exactly 12 months. Notably, the Redditor points out that the GTA 6 role will require contractors to “Perform localization QA to ensure the final product quality is as high as possible.” The “final product” wording seems essential here; as the user surmises, the studio’s not likely to hire a language tester, then let them go in March 2025 if the game’s on track for release later in the year. As such, the thinking is that GTA 6 could hit store shelves sometime in early 2025. Of course, all of the above should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being. Rockstar and publisher Take-Two have yet to definitively reveal when GTA 6 will release, beyond sharing the 2025 launch window. It’s presently not clear when the two plan on sharing more details about the game in general, either. Still, Grand Theft Auto fans hope new information will surface sooner rather than later.

  • GTA 6 release: Take-Two shuts down rumors of new GTA game in 2020 – Dexerto

GTA 6 release: Take-Two shuts down rumors of new GTA game in 2020 Rockstar GamesTake-Two Interactive, the publisher of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series, has all but confirmed that GTA 6 is at least more than a year away, during the company’s earnings call on May 20. The last Grand Theft Auto game, number five, released in 2013, so fans are understandably eager for the next game in the franchise. Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, leaving the space clear for their next game to be a return to GTA. There have been countless leaks, from somewhat reliable leakers, that GTA 6 is deep in development. One source even suggested as much as 70% of the work is complete for the project, while other reports have claimed it is still in the very early stages. There’s been almost no word from Rockstar or Take-Two themselves though, so their quarterly earnings call was the chance to hear the latest, straight from the horse’s mouth. In addition to the announcement that GTA V had sold over 130 million copies (not including the free versions given away on Epic Games), the publisher had some bad news for fans waiting on the next title. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the upcoming year, between April 2020 and March 2021 would be “light” for new releases, with updates coming for GTA Online and Red Dead Online in the meantime. https://twitter.com/GTA6228/status/1263234258975494144 In a previous earnings call, Take-Two said they had released in some of their biggest franchises coming, but there wasn’t any timeframe on them. Also, this could include franchises from other developers under the Take-Two umbrella, not just Rockstar. Considering there was a five-year gap between GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s possible we could be looking at a similar timeframe for the next Grand Theft Auto. This would give us a release year of 2023. Of course, dedicated fans of the franchise will be hoping it’s not this far away, but comments from Zelnick certainly indicate we won’t be playing GTA 6 this Holiday season, at least. Light release year for Take Two according to the conference call, new updates expected for RDO and GTAO this year. So I guess that means the “”R* x City Morgue”” thing from Instagram is most likely gonna be yet another radio update for V/Online. Which is what I figured it’d be. https://t.co/gXxQeGtND4 pic.twitter.com/lpEijJ71SO — Badger G. 🦡 (@BadgerGoodger) May 20, 2020 Rockstar’s lack of urgency to release a new version could partly be down to the success of GTA Online. It continues to pull in a large player base, and is something of a cash cow for the developer. Similarly, Red Dead Online hit a player peak in December 2019, a year after the game itself released. With GTA 5 still selling 10 million copies in a single quarter, there’s no pressure on the studio to rush out another entry in the series. They’ll also be well aware that the longer they take to release a new GTA, the higher expectations and hype will rise.

  • GTA 6 release: Retailer claims 2020 launch for next Grand Theft Auto – Dexerto

GTA 6 release: Retailer claims 2020 launch for next Grand Theft Auto An Austrian games retailer that has a history of leaking game releases has dropped their listing for GTA 6, and it could be coming sooner than some fans might expect. Even though there haven’t been any official hints or teases from Rockstar Games themselves, fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been scouring GTA V’s single-player and online modes, as well as the internet for any sort of hint about GTA VI. As it stands, the only things they’ve got to work from are supposed ‘leaks’ that make the next installment of the iconic sandbox franchise sound even more ambitious than normal. However, when it comes to a potential release date, some have speculated that they could be waiting at least another year or two. However, that’s where Gameware from Austria come in to play. As of January 14, the online games retailer has listed GTA 6 as “coming in 2020” to the Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms. Now, there’s no exact release date mentioned, nor an announcement date from Rockstar Games themselves. Also, even though the listing contains a placeholder for the cover art, it also lists a ‘D1 Edition’ that comes with a bonus. However, again, it’s not mentioned what that contains. Yet, it is interesting to see the listing arrive on the Austrian website. In the past, Gameware have leaked the existence of games like Need for Speed Heat and Devil May Cry 5 before their announcements. Of course, other retailers like Amazon have listed games early in the past, but that’s usually a placeholder and comes when the game is known about – unlike Gameware. Despite their leaker past, it may be worth taking the listing with a pinch of salt as it could just be a case of the retailer getting ahead of the game. Though, it’s worth keeping an eye on to see if they reveal any further details at a later date.

  • When could GTA 6 be released? Comparing previous Grand Theft Auto games – Dexerto

When could GTA 6 be released? Comparing previous Grand Theft Auto games With the hype for GTA 6 continuing to grow, fans are wondering when the next Grand Theft Auto game will be released. Alongside the PS5 and Xbox 2 April and May saw a host of GTA 6 leaks materialize which varied from where the next game would be set to a possible release window and the platforms it will be available on. While none of these leaks conclusively stated GTA 6 will release at the same time, the current feeling is that it will launch in November 2020 alongside the next generation of consoles. This means the PS5 and successor to the Xbox One is also expected to release then, although this is not confirmed. Is GTA 6 the most anticipated game ever? Others are speculating that GTA 6 won’t come out until beyond 2020. As yet, not only have we not got a GTA 6 announcement, but there is little to suggest one is coming soon. It is unlikely Grand Theft Auto 6 will release without an extended period of release hype and marketing. Looking at other Grand Theft Auto games One way to try and figure out when GTA 6 will release is by looking at previous releases of Rockstar games. The iconic Grand Theft Auto series started with GTA 1 in 1997. The birds-eye view concept of GTA proved successful and its successor, GTA 2, was released in 1999. GTA 3 and its release on the PS2 in 2001 really saw the series catapult into gaming super-stardom. The 3D graphics and violence were at the time unprecedented. At this point there had been two years between each GTA release. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City bucked the trend with a release year of 2002. Also veering away from numbering the games came GTA: San Andreas which released in 2004. This would be the last game until 2008. One leak claims GTA 6 will release alongside the PS5… The seventh generation of consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360) clearly slowed down the production process of GTA. The quality remained however, and in the eyes of many resulted in even better games. GTA IV released in 2008, and it wasn’t until 2013 that we got its successor GTA V. This would release at the end of the PS3 and Xbox 360 life span. Consequently, it would port to the PS4 and Xbox One and be a even bigger success there. There is a clear pattern of the time between GTA releases growing longer. It has already been six years since the release of GTA 5, more than any other Grand Theft Auto game previous to this. With no release expected in the near future it looks like it will be a minimum of eight years this time around. What’s perhaps more depressing about the wait is when you look at the time between the trailer of each game being revealed and the subsequent release. The time between the GTA 4 trailer and release was just over a year and the time between the GTA 5 trailer and release was just over two years. If this pattern continues then we would need a trailer in the next few months to secure that 2021 release. Fortunately there are rumors, albeit slight ones, that there will be a surprise GTA 6 announcement at E3 2019. We can all hope…

  • GTA 6 release date plans revealed by reliable Rockstar insider – Dexerto

GTA 6 release date plans revealed by reliable Rockstar insider Rockstar GamesRockstar Games’ release plans for GTA 6 have seemingly been revealed by a well-known insider with a good track record of accurate information. GTA 6 is one of the most-anticipated games of all time with gamers across the world awaiting Rockstar to finally show off the game with a trailer or official announcement. While the company has revealed work on GTA 6 is “well underway,” nothing else is officially known, such as its location, characters or time period, though there have been plenty of leaks relating to those topics. Now, as fans continue to wait with bated breath on news from the gaming juggernaut, an established insider has revealed Rockstar’s plans to release GTA 6. Insider leaks GTA 6 release date plans Tez2, a credible insider whose information about GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption Remasters being shelved by Rockstar was backed up by Kotaku, recently spoke about GTA 6’s release. In a post on GTAForums, Tez2 responded to a question about if GTA 6 was still years away and provided quite the update on the company’s plans. “If nothing changed from last year, Rockstar is still aiming for a late 2023 – early 2024 release window,” he said. “But there’s always uncertainty when it comes to dates even when Rockstar officially announces them. So keep that in mind.” Late 2023 could mean that GTA 6 will be planned to launch in November of next year, but don’t be surprised if it’s also announced as an April 2024 release. Of course, as Tez2 said, Rockstar could delay the game even once a release is finally official. This news also comes after Rockstar employees were caught listing their work on GTA 6 on their LinkedIn profiles, hinting that some news about the game could finally be coming from the developer themselves. We’ll have to wait and see if this information holds true as fans continue to anxiously await news on the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series.

  • GTA 6 release date outed by credible leakers but is it real? – Dexerto

GTA 6 release date outed by credible leakers but is it real? Rockstar GamesThe GTA 6 release window and even a full-blown date have been outed by a number of credible leakers who have gotten things right in the past. But just how trustworthy is the new info? Initially reported by Metro, multiple sources have indicated that GTA 6 will be released in Q1 2025. Prospective players have been agonizing over the wait since the 2025 release window was revealed in the game’s long-awaited first trailer. Since then, Bloomberg’s Jason Schrier has posited that the game would arrive earlier in 2025. This new information seems to corroborate that assumption with leaker JarlOfRivia’s source suggesting a release by “maybe January or February”. Another leaker by the name of Nuro has gone the extra mile and claimed that GTA 6 will launch on February 18, 2025. It’s the veracity of these sources that needs to be scrutinized. How trustworthy are the GTA 6 release date leaks? We’re certainly not calling Jason Schrier a leaker but the veteran reporter has a solid nose for news and can be relied on for both information and opinion. His years of experience breaking many of the industry’s biggest stories make him arguably the most reliable source. Particularly after breaking the announcement for the GTA 6 trailer ahead of schedule. His suggestion of Q1 for 2025 leaves a lot of room for GTA 6 to land somewhere in that three-month span. On the other hand, JarlOfRivia is well known for having predicted the content of the GTA 6 trailer with near-perfect accuracy. Their claim for a January or February release is supposedly backed by an inside source but there’s no way to verify that with absolute certainty. Nuro might not have predicted the GTA 6 trailer content but they did nail down an accurate release window and previously leaked shadow drops for Red Dead Redemption 2 updates ahead of time. They have gone all in and given their bet on a full release date for GTA 6. February 18, 2025, does fall on a Tuesday however which may seem like an odd day for what analysts are calling the “most important” release in gaming history. You can decide for yourself how seriously you want to take these GTA 6 release date leaks. Especially given Rockstar’s (and the industry at large) recent track record for delays. At the risk of sounding too cliche, we’re taking them with a hearty grain of salt.

  • GTA 6 release date further away than expected according to analyst – Dexerto

GTA 6 release date further away than expected according to analyst Rockstar GamesGTA franchise has been without a new release since 2013, with GTA V failing to add any additional single-player content like its predecessor GTA IV – with the focus being put into multiplayer. Despite the constant updates to GTA Online, fans are obviously eager to jump into a new game with a fresh setting, story, and in-game mechanics, though that could very well be a long way off from happening. Stock analyst Alex Giaimo has warned traders off buying Take-Two stock (the parent company of Rockstar Games) because he believes that their next major release is still some time away. Read More: Easiest ways to make money in GTA Online – After downgrading the stock from ‘buy’ to ‘hold’, Giamio claimed that while Take-Two produces ‘high-quality content’ compared to other US publishers, he can’t see where the ‘near-term catalyst’ – in the form of a new release – to push the stock any higher than its current level is coming from. Furthermore, Giamio predicts that fans won’t get their hands on the next installment of the iconic franchises until 2022, despite reports that it could be released much sooner than that. Of course, this is only a prediction from the stock analyst and not to be taken as confirmation that a new game is still three years away. However, it might not be too far off the mark considering Rockstar are still invested into Red Dead Redemption 2 with a number of updates being made to its vast online modes. A small gap between a Grand Theft Auto release and Red Dead Redemption could very well be filled by Rockstar’s smaller titles in Bully and Max Payne or even a brand new franchise. Yet, a former developer has already claimed that Bully 2 has been canceled at least once and is unsure if it has been put back into development. Sadly, there has been no news on Max Payne or a new original title. It remains to be seen if Giamio’s prediction comes off, or if fans will be hopping into whatever epic story that Rockstar has planned anytime sooner.

  • Why GTA 6 online should build on the importance of Grand Theft Auto racing – Dexerto

Why GTA 6 online should build on the importance of Grand Theft Auto racing GTA is many games rolled into one: action-adventure, shooter, racing, online social and even golf and tennis. What areas should GTA 6 focus on though? Expand on Grand Theft Auto 5 racing One part of GTA 6 that should receive at least as much attention as it did in GTA 5 is the racing element. While no released numbers show how popular GTA online racing is, a quick search through Google and GTA related forums will show how frequently it is discussed. GTA racing provides an excellent blend of arcade style racing and simplicity with a highly competitive feel. Understandably, pure racing games such as Gran Turismo focus on the more intricate parts of racing such as gear changes, cornering and car maintenance. Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? Rumors, release date, story and more for the next Grand Theft Auto game – There is a place for detailed racing games but many want to be able to pick a car and start a race with minimum fuss and complexity. Grand Theft Auto provides this. Using the map Part of the enjoyment of GTA racing comes from being able to race across the map you have become so familiar with. Moreover, unlike traditional racing games, you can use the GTA map in any number of combinations to design a race. Race creator The race creator allows you to create any length of race, anywhere in the GTA map with various obstacles. This keeps races fresh and provides the ability to really test yourself with difficult races. Additionally, you can add created (and existing) races to a custom designed playlist of races. This acts as a race league per se with points distributed based on finishing positions. An even more extensive race creator in a map that is expected to be significantly bigger than the already huge Los Santos, only makes racing on Grand Theft Auto more tantalizing. Cunning Stunts The July 2016 Cunning Stunts added a brand new dimension to the already addictive GTA racing. An array of new races which featured various stunts using a host of different loops were available. Time to talk about Grand Theft Auto again After a period of few rumors and even less news, a leak has got the GTA 6 hype started again. The Grand Theft Auto 6 leak has supposedly revealed the game is in development and that it be available as soon as 2020. This is naturally gigantic news in the gaming world and allows GTA fans to really start to speculate as to what a next generation Grand Theft Auto game could entail. There will probably be additions to the game that will come as a surprise that few people have even thought about yet. The game’s core elements such as an extensive story driven by crime, its online offering and racing will all remain an important part, though. GTA 6 racing There’s little doubt that Grand Theft Auto will expand further for GTA 6 but racing should be an important part of it. Grand Theft Auto racing is Rockstar’s best avenue to produce a mode that can be played in an e-sports setting. This is one thing that has eluded GTA 5. • GTA 6 publishers have already mentioned GTA 7 despite it not even launching – Dexerto

GTA 6 publishers have already mentioned GTA 7 despite it not even launching YouTube/DELTA/Rockstar GamesTake-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is already talking about GTA 7, and has explained what Rockstar has been doing in the almost 12 years since GTA 5 when it comes to GTA 6’s release. For years, Rockstar Games and their publishers, Take-Two, were silent on all things GTA 6. However, at the end of 2023, they finally started revealing some details as the first trailer for the highly-anticipated was revealed. Since that trailer, things have been a little quiet again – with players going to some extreme lengths to try and uncover clues about when further news might be revealed. However, the lid has been lifted a little bit as Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke at the TD Cowen 52nd Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference about GTA 6. Yet, while talking about the new game, he also actually mentioned GTA 7. Yes, that’s right. It came as Zelnick was fielding a question about what the future holds for Rockstar’s releases, and whether or not there will be such a big gap between games like there has between GTA 5 and 6. The host asked Zelnick: “If you look out, I know we’re not even at GTA VI yet, but thinking about…” before the Take-Two boss quickly joked “GTA 7?” He continued: “It is important to bear in mind that it’s not like Rockstar put out GTA V and sat on their hands for 12 years, right. We launched GTA Online, that’s turned into a massive, living, breathing ecosystem which continues to perform and grow to this day. So, the label totally transformed from a label that made big, standalone, monolithic, games to a label that’s now in the live services business.” Zelnick also added that Rockstar had been working on Red Dead Redemption 2 during that time too. “I do think given the scale of that label, it’s a huge company itself, there isn’t much more to be done. This isn’t a situation where it is 12 years of girth of product, there’s 12 years where Rockstar has been putting out a mass amount of content. And another little title called Red Dead,” he said. The Take-Two boss also touched on the fact that GTA 6 hasn’t, yet, been announced to come to PC, noting that Rockstar has their own strategy on that front.

  • GTA 6 publisher thinks gamers should pay more for longer games – Dexerto

GTA 6 publisher thinks gamers should pay more for longer games Take Two InteractiveTake-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has stated that he believes video games should be priced differently depending on the “expected entertainment usage”, AKA the length of time it takes for players to complete them. When it comes to video games, the length of an experience can vary anywhere between 10 hours of content to a few hundred. Open-world games such as Baldur’s Gate 3 offer up hours upon hours of replayability while other more streamlined experiences opt for a concise approach instead. As a result, the topic of games being sold at full price despite these variations in length has been a hot topic of conversation in recent years throughout the industry. Chiming in, Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has added his thoughts to the mix, arguing that games should be priced on a per-hour basis. During the earnings call for Take-Two Interactive’s Q2 2024 period, Zelnick explained why be believes video games should be priced in relation to how much time gamers will need to dedicate to them. “In terms of pricing for any entertainment property, basically the algorithm is the value of the expected entertainment usage, which is to say that the per-hour value times the number of expected hours plus the terminal value that’s perceived by the customer in ownership if the title is actually owned, not, say, rented or subscribed to. “And you’ll see that that bears out in every kind of entertainment vehicle. By that standard, our frontline prices are still very, very low because we offer many hours of engagement.” The CEO then added, “That doesn’t necessarily mean that the industry has pricing power or wants to have pricing power. However, there is a great deal of value offered.” While a formula such as the one Zelnick is proposing does not exist at this current time, there is no telling if games will be priced in relation to their usage in the future. Certain MMOs already fall somewhat in line with their premium subscription models, but this approach hasn’t been adopted by more standard multiplayer offerings just yet. This could perhaps mean that when GTA 6 eventually hits story shelves, we’ll see it arrive with a high price tag given how ambitious the experience is expected to be. • GTA 6 publisher Take-Two planning major layoffs ahead of sequel’s launch – Dexerto

GTA 6 publisher Take-Two planning major layoffs ahead of sequel’s launch Take-Two InteractiveGTA 6 publisher Take-Two Interactive is planning to have major layoffs as a part of its “cost reduction plan” ahead of the highly-anticipated sequel’s launch in the coming years. Owner of both Rockstar and 2K Games, Take-Two Interactive has revealed that the publisher will be laying off multiple staff as a part of its new “cost reduction program”. The company revealed the upcoming layoffs during its earnings release for Q3 of the 2023 financial year. “In light of the current backdrop and Take-Two’s strong commitment to efficiency, the company is implementing a cost reduction program expected to yield over $50 million of annual savings, which it will begin to realize in the fourth quarter of its Fiscal Year 2023.” This restructuring will seemingly impact a wide range of personnel across Take-Two, with a primary focus on “corporate and publishing functions,” the report read. On top of this, the publishing giant is also expecting to mitigate “over $100 million” in costs from its other mobile-focused division in Zynga. Similarly, these changes are “not expected to impact the delivery of its robust multi-year pipeline. “Take-Two believes these actions, combined with its focus on profitably growing its scale, will enable the Company to maximize its margins as it delivers on its anticipated growth trajectory over the next few years.” These layoffs have come as quite a surprise to the public, as despite the success of GTA 5 with over 170 million copies sold, Take-Two is still looking to lower costs ahead of the sequel’s release. While no concrete date has yet been announced for the highly-anticipated sixth installment, we’re sure to hear more on GTA 6 in the coming years, especially given a huge chunk of the game leaked just months ago. “We take leaks very seriously indeed and they disappoint all of us,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said on the same day as the layoff news arrived. “It’s really frustrating and upsetting to the team, however as a business matter, we’re not affected.” These layoffs have become a recent trend in the gaming and tech industry due to the struggling economy, with Microsoft announcing 10,000 employees being laid off in the previous month. Alongside hit EA franchises like Apex Legends and Battlefield shutting down mobile ports unexpectedly.

  • GTA 6 publisher Take-Two allegedly planning huge marketing campaign in Miami – Dexerto

GTA 6 publisher Take-Two allegedly planning huge marketing campaign in Miami RockstarRockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive is allegedly gearing up for a big marketing campaign in Miami, one that some fans are convinced could be the first sign of a promotional push for the highly-anticipated GTA 6. It’s been almost a decade since GTA 5 hit store shelves in September of 2013. Since then, we’ve progressed through multiple console generations all without so much as hearing a peep on the next GTA sequel. At least, not in an official capacity. Historic gameplay leaks and insider reports aside, Rockstar has been keeping its progress tightly under wraps. Beyond mere confirmation that GTA 6 is in active development, nothing has yet been formally revealed. As a result, any meager scrap of information typically sends fans into overdrive, and a brand new instance from a questionable May 9 Reddit post is no different. Surfacing on the popular ‘GamingLeaksAndRumors’ subreddit from a brand new account, one that’s since been deleted, came a mysterious printed document. This letter, supposedly from Take-Two Interactive, claims to detail a major marketing push on the way in Miami for an undisclosed “triple A” title. While there’s no verifying its authenticity, and the Grand Theft Auto series hasn’t been mentioned by name, this letter alone has set the rumor mill ablaze once again. Addressed to The Guild Downtown, a luxurious hotel in Miami, Take-Two supposedly wants to plaster an advertisement across one side of the building’s parking garage. This advertisement would then remain in place for a whopping 12 months, according to the letter. “Starting from late Summer 2023.” Obviously, it’s worth taking this with a heaping serve of salt. The document could very well be fake, and even it were legitimate, there’s no clear indication it points to GTA 6 being the big game in focus. However, with the lengthy period of the advertisement plan, along with the Miami location, a setting we may visit in the sequel, some fans are believing in it already. “Yes anything can be faked, but we also got Red Dead Redemption 2’s map leaked and no one even batted an eye,” one player said in the replies. “It’s also perfectly in line with how they like to advertise their games.” “They wanna advertise from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024. Reveal trailer in the Summer, then release in 2024, that seems realistic,” another pondered. Though naturally, the vast majority aren’t convinced by the random letter. From calls of the text being AI-generated to criticism of the basic business card attached, not everyone is sold on the potential GTA 6 marketing plans. “Anyone could type and print this out.” “Not getting my hopes up.” “No way in hell this is real.” “This reads fake all over it.” Those and many others dominated the conversation, so as always, don’t believe everything you read. For now, we’ll simply have to wait and see if this supposed plan comes to fruition, and thankfully, we won’t have to wait all too long. Summer is just around the corner so if GTA 6 marketing is truly set to ramp up, we should hear about it in a matter of weeks. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted here with any further developments.

  • GTA 6 publisher “confident” game will release Fall 2025 – Dexerto

GTA 6 publisher “confident” game will release Fall 2025 Rockstar GamesTake-Two Interactive, the publisher behind GTA 6, announced in an earnings call that the next installment of the franchise will come in the Fall of 2025. Rockstar Games, the developer of the Grand Theft Auto series, has previously confirmed the widely anticipated release is scheduled for 2025. It was previously reported that the game’s production was falling behind but it is still set to be released sometime in the 2025 calendar year. On May 16, Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke about its projections for the 2025 fiscal year, announcing it is “narrowing” its previous release window from “Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.” The company also said it is bullish about its future earnings as Rockstar is expected to “deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience,” with the new game. This news also comes during a rough time in the gaming industry with layoffs hitting multiple companies, including Take-Two. The layoffs – and a controversial return-to-office mandate for Rockstar employees – have caused some to worry that GTA 6 could be delayed significantly. However, it seems those worries could be a tad overblown or at least not enough to make the game’s release window miss the holiday season. “We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025,” Zelnick told IGN on May 16 when asked if he was concerned that GTA 6 may get delayed. He reiterated during the earnings call that he expects the company will “deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience” and that Take-Two’s “expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.” Rockstar has been pretty tight-lipped about the project ahead of its release. The trailer for the new title dropped on December 3, 2023, and the developer announced the game will hit the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S during its initial release but had no details on a PC version. Now, players should have an idea of when the game will be available for purchase while waiting for Rockstar to drop more information about its return to Vice City.

  • GTA 6 fans want this fan-favorite protagonist to return – Dexerto

GTA 6 fans want this fan-favorite protagonist to return Take-Two InteractiveWhile discussing which classic Grand Theft Auto protagonist should return in GTA 6, players have listed the stars of Vice City and GTA 4 as fan favorites. Though rumors have circulated for years on end, Rockstar Games just confirmed it’s working on a new GTA this past February. The development studio has yet to share concrete details about the title; however, recent reports have claimed to fill in a few gaps. Allegedly, the next mainline entry will star two lead characters, one being an as-yet-unnamed Latina. And since other reports suggest the game won’t arrive until 2025, it may be a while before Rockstar unveils the brand’s new cast of characters. Fans list the protagonists they want to see return for GTA 6 TheCrowsNestTV recently posed a simple question to members of the Grand Theft Auto subreddit – which classic protagonist would they like to play in GTA 6 if given a choice? The likes of Trevor Phillips, Claude Speed, and CJ received a number of mentions, of course. However, Vice City’s Tommy Vercetti and GTA 4’s Niko Bellic were both name-dropped a few dozen times in the thread. “I really want to know what happened with him,” GabrielZeroo said of Niko. Many others like LimpTeacher0 pointed out that while they’d welcome Tommy’s return, it wouldn’t be the same given the passing of actor Ray Liotta. At present, there’s no official word on who players will take control of when GTA 6 eventually hits store shelves. If the previously mentioned rumors and reports prove accurate, though, GTA 6 may star a protagonist that fans have not yet had the pleasure of meeting.

  • GTA 6 pre-order info “leaks” ahead of trailer reveal, but it’s too good to be true – Dexerto

GTA 6 pre-order info “leaks” ahead of trailer reveal, but it’s too good to be true Gamerficial/Rockstar GamesA GTA 6 “leak” from a retailer claiming when pre-orders will go live has surfaced, but is it even real? Grand Theft Auto 6 is arguably the most-anticipated game of all time and in early December, fans will finally get their first official look at it when the first trailer debuts. Although Rockstar has yet to reveal the exact date for the trailer, there has been plenty of speculation as to what exactly “early December” means and if GTA VI will be available for pre-order right away. On November 23, screenshots from a conversation between a GTA fan and Argos surfaced where the chain purportedly claimed that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S pre-orders would go live on December 12. However, it may be too good to be true. GTA 6 pre-order “leak” emerges as trailer approaches As shared by Rockstar Universe, an X chat between a user and Argos support appeared to reveal the GTA 6 pre-order date, even though the trailer still hasn’t been released. “I have been informed the software Grand Theft Auto VI for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be available to pre-order on December 12, 2023, confirmed to us by the distributors,” the post stated. For those asking, this is the image of the supposed chat with @ArgosHelpers stating pre-orders will be available on Dec 12th. We’ve reached out to their support team via the website (as pictured above) and they have no knowledge of a date. pic.twitter.com/9y2BZoxI1p — Rockstar Universe (@RStarUniverse) November 23, 2023 Unfortunately, even if the screenshot is real, it doesn’t seem like everyone at Argos is on the same page and the pre-order date has been debunked by Rockstar Universe. It’s bad news for anyone hoping their return to Vice City is imminent. While contacting Argos themselves through their website to inquire about GTA, the company said that when the launch date is confirmed, “it will be available for prebooking.” “It is not announced by [Rockstar] once they announce it, then it will be available,” the employee added. Of course, it is possible that someone may have let information slip, but considering how Rockstar keeps info so close to their chest, it’s also just likely that the screenshot was fake. In any case, with December around the corner, we won’t have long to wait for the first GTA 6 trailer and hopefully, a launch date will soon follow, especially considering Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, has hinted at a 2024-2025 release window.

  • GTA 6 pre-order: Is there a release date & will there be a Special Edition? – Dexerto

GTA 6 pre-order: Is there a release date & will there be a Special Edition? Rockstar GamesGTA 6 pre-orders will give players the chance to purchase the game ahead of release, so here’s everything you need to know. Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) has finally been revealed, and fans around the world are eagerly waiting to dive back into Vice City. Rockstar finally released the first trailer for the game, showcasing stunning graphics and the series’ first female protagonist, Lucia. There’s certainly a lot of hype surrounding GTA 6, and while it may have a 2025 release date, many fans will still be eager to begin placing their pre-orders. So, here’s everything you need to know about GTA 6 pre-orders, including whether the game will have a Special Edition and Collector’s Edition. Can you pre-order GTA 6? No, GTA 6 pre-orders are not currently available. This is largely due to the game releasing in 2025, so there’s still a lengthy wait before players can delve into Vice City. The recent GTA 6 pre-order leaks have also been debunked by Rockstar Universe. However, it’s important to note that GTA 5 was originally available for pre-order starting on November 5, 2012 – the game was then delayed and released on September 17, 2013. So, Rockstar Games have been known to enable players to pre-order GTA months in advance. Whether GTA 6 pre-orders will follow a similar pattern remains to be seen, but for now, that’s everything we know about purchasing a copy of the game. Will there be a GTA 6 Special Edition & Collector’s Edition? Rockstar has yet to reveal whether there will be a GTA 6 Special Edition, but it’s incredibly likely given that GTA 5 featured both a Special Edition and a Collector’s Edition. As an example, the GTA 5 Special Edition came with the following features: Collectible steelbook with exclusive artwork – Blueprint map – Special Ability Boost – Stunt Plane Trials – Bonus outfits, tattoos, cosmetics – Additional weapons – Because of this, we expect that GTA 6 will also receive its own Special Edition and Collector’s Edition. As always, we’ll update this section once Rockstar releases more details. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about GTA 6 pre-orders. In the meantime, why not check out our GTA 6 hub for all the latest news and updates?

  • What platforms will GTA 6 release on? Rockstar confirms launch details – Dexerto

What platforms will GTA 6 release on? Rockstar confirms launch details Rockstar GamesThe highly-anticipated GTA 6 is finally on the way, but exactly which platforms can players expect to see it on? Putting any rumors to bed right away, Rockstar has already locked in its plans for launch with a console-only initial release. It’s been a long wait but GTA 6 is finally on the horizon. Unveiled in full on December 4 following some major leaks, Rockstar gave us our first look at the sequel in action while also confirming its 2025 release window. And while plans can always change along the way, as we’ve seen countless times with many AAA delays in recent years, it appears the devs certainly have clear plans in mind for the game’s release. So confident, in fact, Rockstar has already commented on which platforms GTA 6 will debut on. So without further ado, here’s where you can play GTA 6 at launch. What platforms is GTA 6 on at launch? GTA 6 will be available on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch in 2025. Rockstar confirmed as much shortly after the reveal trailer went live, outlining its plans in an official press release. It’s worth noting, this confirmation neglected to mention any form of PC release as well as any support for past-gen hardware. Thus, it can’t be guaranteed to arrive on said hardware, at least not at launch. On the PC side, this is a typical trend for Rockstar, a studio that typically releases on console first before porting to PC after the fact. GTA 5 only arrived on PC two years after its initial release, while Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC a year after hitting consoles. As for past-gen hardware, by the time of GTA 6’s release in 2025, the PS4 and Xbox One consoles will both be 12 years old. Thus, it’s unlikely Rockstar’s newest innovation will be able to run on dated hardware. Any gamers holding their breath for past-gen support may need to upgrade if they wish to play on day one. Lastly, Rockstar is yet to address any possible Nintendo platform support either. While the Nintendo Switch is certainly dated, intel points to a new upgraded model launching in the near future. For now, it remains unclear if GTA 6 will ever make its way to a Nintendo device. So that’s all there is to know about the platforms GTA 6 will arrive on. For now, it’s just the beginning of the road to release. We’re sure to hear plenty more in the coming months in terms of graphical fidelity, performance targets, and the like. We’ll be sure to update you here with all the latest GTA 6 details as they emerge.

  • GTA 6 photos “leaked” in Grand Theft Auto 5 debunked – Dexerto

GTA 6 photos “leaked” in Grand Theft Auto 5 debunked Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto fans eager for some news about GTA 6, should be aware that photos found in the back of a strip club in GTA V aren’t in fact connected to “leaked” Vice City maps for the next game. As Dexerto previously reported, a map leak from 2018 supposedly showing off Vice City as the GTA 6 location spread like wildfire after a very similar version of the map surfaced giving new life to the older photos. In an attempt to make sense of the leaks, which became more legitimate retroactively with some suggesting the original leaker worked for Take-Two Interactive, fans began to comb through GTA V for hints. In their search, they stumbled across some tropical beach photos in the back of a strip club. Judging by the photos, some believed that they could be connected to some of the islands on the leaked maps. Rockstar has been known to tease its upcoming games within existing projects, so some truly believed that the strip club’s postcards could be connected to the next Grand Theft Auto entry, however, new information has come to light debunking that theory. As Redditor henriquedematos explained, the picture of a cliff near the ocean with a boat in the distance is a stock photograph and not built specifically for GTA. Meanwhile, the second photo of a beach seems to be a 3D Studio Max render, completely ending any debate on whether or not the images are from GTA 6. That said, it is still possible that these photos were chosen because they would fit well as a tease for GTA 6 – assuming the prior map leaks are in fact accurate. So far, those map leaks have not been officially deconfirmed, so at least fans of GTA can still hold onto those as some evidence. However, it’s safe to say the strip club postcards have been ruled out.

  • GTA 6 originally had four playable protagonists and three major cities: report – Dexerto

GTA 6 originally had four playable protagonists and three major cities: report Rockstar GamesA new report is claiming that GTA 6 was once a far more ambitious project than the one currently in development with more cities and characters. Grand Theft Auto 6 could very well be the most-anticipated game of all time and Rockstar has been taking their sweet time developing the title and leaving fans with just breadcrumbs of info. Earlier in July, a bombshell Bloomberg report revealed that GTA 6 would feature the series’ first-ever Latina protagonist as one of two playable characters. Additionally, the report said that more missions and cities would be coming in future updates. To follow this up, Axios has shared even more information, this time about content cut from GTA 6 ahead of what should be its launch version. The report paints quite an interesting picture of what Rockstar’s original vision for the game was. Report reveals Rockstar’s original plans for GTA 6 According to Axios Gaming, Rockstar Games originally planned for GTA 6 to feature four playable protagonists. The two that we know of, as detailed in the Bloomberg report, are a duo influenced by Bonnie and Clyde with one of them being a female from Latin America. Fans believe the actress playing this unknown female character is Alexandra Cristina Echavarri. The rumors spread after the voice actor added “Principal Character” in a Rockstar project to her resume. Aside from this, it’s not clear what was intended for the other two playable characters, but it’s possible they are added to the game at a later date as new missions and locations become available. Additionally, the Axios Gaming report states that three cities were planned for GTA 6, but Rockstar decided to scale things back and instead focus on Vice City. That said, Jason Schreier has said that the game will be similar in size to previous entries in the series even with this cut content. Sadly, the report does not say what other cities were being considered and if they would be been new to the GTA franchise or not. The original plans were to portray large areas of North and South America, so it’s likely that at least one would have been completely new. Hopefully, with all these reports, Rockstar will officially unveil some long-awaited details on GTA 6 soon and we will finally find out when the game will be released.

  • GTA 6 Online will have “significant” user-generated content through modding tools: report – Dexerto

GTA 6 Online will have “significant” user-generated content through modding tools: report Rockstar GamesRockstar Games is reportedly cooking up extensive mod tools to enhance the GTA Online experience once GTA 6 launches. Rumors of GTA 6 incorporating RP elements began to spread when Rockstar purchased the dev team behind FiveM, a popular mod. On August 5, a report from GTAFocal revealed how FiveM was finally coming to console, but it also revealed how Rockstar plans to use mods to realize their broader vision for GTA Online. According to the report, before acquiring FiveM, Rockstar was developing its own project that would rival the mod. Although the project was shelved, it’s since resumed development. GTAFocal claims this project is part of Rockstar’s plans for GTA Online and “significantly involves user-generated content through new Rockstar’s online proprietary modding tools.” The report also points to a file in the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC discovered by insider Tez2, which suggests Rockstar is working on a mission creator. GTAFocal’s sources say this is part of the new project Rockstar is cooking up and it will be integrated into GTA Online in Fall 2024. “The possibility of bringing it to consoles will also serve as a way to keep the game alive once updates slow down and GTA 6 arrives,” the report says. This isn’t the first time theories about GTA 6 RP spread. Back in 2023, files were discovered in GTA Online that hinted towards GTA 6 role-play creator features being in development. So far, nothing is currently known about GTA 6’s Online with Rockstar only revealing the first trailer for the story campaign in December 2023. Gameplay leaks from earlier, though, did showcase some new mechanics, vehicles, weapons, and more. However, with GTA VI’s release window set for Fall 2025, we may not have long to wait for more info to be revealed, even potentially news about what the future holds for GTA Online.

  • GTA 6 online story feature seemingly discovered in leaked gameplay footage – Dexerto

GTA 6 online story feature seemingly discovered in leaked gameplay footage Rockstar GamesGTA 6’s story campaign could be the first to include online co-op after players discovered clues in leaked gameplay footage. The big GTA VI leaks back in September of 2022 revealed that players will be returning to Vice City with a female protagonist alongside a slew of other gameplay features. Although Rockstar has yet to officially announce the long-awaited game or provide an update on GTA 6’s development for months now, the leaks have given fans a lot to sink their teeth into. One such clip featuring the game’s playable characters, Lucia and Jason has revealed an ambitious new online co-op feature where two players could take control of the duo. GTA 6 co-op story mode possibly leaked In a thread on Reddit, a user noted how one of the videos of leaked gameplay features both Jason and Lucia in a club, but there was something interesting that fans seem to have missed. “Lucia’s character doesn’t move like an AI after all, she moves like it’s being controlled by another player,” the Redditor explained. “That might also explain the share inventory function in the game.” Players were quick to jump on the co-op hype train with some saying the feature would be “great” and praised it as yet another way to experience the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Others weren’t as excited, commenting how they weren’t sure how many people would actually enjoy it and voiced uncertainty about how missions involving only one character would work. This discovery comes just a week after another GTA 6 Online clip resurfaced showing off a 32-player count for the mode – something Rockstar insider TezFun also pointed out back in November. Of course, until Rockstar unveils anything, take all of this with a grain of salt and a pinch of pepper, because it’s also possible that any co-op modes could be cut from the final product. Until then, keep it locked to Dexerto for all things GTA 6 leading up to its reveal and even a rumored 2024 launch.

  • Will Rockstar focus on GTA 6 online instead of campaign? – Dexerto

Will Rockstar focus on GTA 6 online instead of campaign? Despite zero announcements or even credible rumors so far, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still one of the most talked about upcoming releases. With an absence of information, we look at the possibility of Rockstar prioritizing online over the campaign. GTA 6 online Games have increasingly been geared towards their online element over the years. With the popularity of playing online, in comparison to single-player campaigns, it isn’t a stretch to suggest Rockstar will focus more efforts on their online offering. Read More: Everything we know about GTA 6 so far! – Therefore, Rockstar will at the very least put more effort into GTA 6 online than they did GTA 5. After all, GTA 5 was released without the online component which released two weeks after. Furthermore, GTA 5 online back then offered a fraction of what it does today. While GTA fans are understandably excited about the prospect of a fresh Grand Theft Auto campaign, especially utilizing a new generation of hardware, it will be online that will receive the most hype and have GTA players spending more time on. Money talks in Grand Theft Auto When playing GTA 5 online you’ll realize money is king – the same applies to Rockstar in real life. GTA 5 has made a ludicrous amount of revenue since its release in October of 2013. As of April 2018, GTA 5 has made an estimated $6 billion in revenue. That’s an astounding amount of money. Within that $6 billion number, it is also estimated 90 million copies of GTA 5 have been sold. If we assume an average price tag of $45, which is reasonable when including discounts and the most recent of sales, then just over $4 billion have come directly from sales of GTA 5. This means, based on this estimation, that approximately $2 billion in revenue has been made from GTA 5 online alone. Even if this $45 per copy is off the mark, and it’s $50, then that is still far more than $1 billion in revenue for GTA online. Meanwhile, Rockstar continue to update the online offering of GTA V. Get 3X GTA$ & RP in GTA Online: Motor Wars And scratch that vehicular warfare itch with Double GTA$ & RP in Vehicle Vendetta and Hunting Pack (Remix) Plus Double GTA$ for Gunrunning Sales, 40% off vehicles including the Stromberg, and morehttps://t.co/7ZrFHj6N1r pic.twitter.com/aHf8hBL3x8 — Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) April 4, 2019 Rockstar want profit Consequently, we expect to see the focus shifted firmly towards GTA 6 online. In a worst-case scenario, and even without an announcement, sales for GTA 6 are already likely to do very well. On the flip side, they might even surpass its predecessor GTA 5. Simply put, GTA 6 is going to sell well. Read More: Will GTA 5 continue to be updated? – This means the additional revenue is going to come from GTA 6 online. Rockstar are unlikely to make the story mode campaign anything less than brilliant but ultimately they will put their efforts and attention where the money is. That is unquestionably GTA 6 online.

  • GTA 6 Online details leaked? Insider reveals characters, locations & missions – Dexerto

GTA 6 Online details leaked? Insider reveals characters, locations & missions Rockstar GamesA new GTA 6 leak has surfaced purporting to reveal how the upcoming game’s GTA Online mode will function, what characters you can play as, and what you can do. Not much is known about Rockstar Game’s next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, despite the company announcing that work on the game is “well underway.” As we wait for information to be revealed officially, leaks and rumors have surfaced indicating a return to Vice City is planned alongside a slew of massive new features such as large-scale destruction. Now, a leaker who has made correct claims in the past has revealed possible info about GTA 6’s Online and how it will function compared to the first installment. GTA 6 Online leak reveals four characters and factions According to Redditor ‘GTA_VI_Leak,’ who has posted a ton of information about the upcoming game, GTA 6 Online will take place after the single-player game and will let users take control of four characters. The leaker claims that each of the four Online characters will have their own story and roles. Additionally, players can switch between their characters to play their individual missions, but they will have unique money and assets. The first is a low-ranking member of El Tercer Ojo cartel from South America where you will be smuggling drugs and guns and have access to the best weapons. Second is a DOA agent from Vice City hellbent on taking down the cartel by arresting its members and performing “large operations.” However, killing NPCs and other players will lower your reputation. The larger your reputation rank, the larger your salary. As a member of the Ballas or Families gang, you can build a reputation by selling drugs and having shootouts with rival gangs to gain territory. “The Ballas and Families are from opposite sides of Carcer City and each have a ‘home turf’ on either side that can never be taken,” the leaker wrote. Finally, as a member of the Von Crastenburg family, you can build your reputation by forming legitimate businesses through your crimes. Additionally, you cannot gain a wanted level by playing as this character. Of course, take everything here with a grain of salt until Rockstar announces anything, but if this leak proves to be accurate, GTA 6’s Online mode could be absolutely amazing.

  • GTA 6 Online clip resurfaces after everyone missed it in historic leaks – Dexerto

GTA 6 Online clip resurfaces after everyone missed it in historic leaks Rockstar/ YouTube: KatChartreuxGrand Theft Auto fans have been taken back by a clip from the GTA 6 leak that they all appeared to miss, as it apparently shows the first details about GTA Online in the new game. Back in September, GTA fans got a historic set of leaks, as the first bits of gameplay from GTA 6’s pre-alpha build surfaced online. The leaks confirmed a number of claims from insiders about a female protagonist, the game being set in Florida, and a few other things as well. Around 90 clips – some short, some longer – surfaced at the time, and while fans saw a vast majority of them, Rockstar was quick to shut them down and issue DMCA takedowns. It was confirmed that the leak wouldn’t have any impact on development, but Take-Two noted that the devs were affected emotionally by their work getting out. With anticipation building yet again, these clips recently started circulating again on social media, including a few that many fans seemed to miss the first time around. GTA 6 Online clip resurfaces as fans missed it first time round One of those appears to give a brief look at GTA 6’s Online mode, as there is a reference to the number of players in one server. This brief clip shows a player having another character on their shoulders, while the bottom of the screen says “PL: 2/32,” which appears to reference a player count for the server. “Seems like a lot of us, myself included, never saw this clip,” said one player. “I have the file of all footage saved from September, this was not in it. Where did this come from?” another quizzed. “Where tf did this clip come from? Y’all just dropping sh*t randomly,” commented another. The clip was actually referenced by Rockstar insider TezFun back in November, who noted that the next installment of GTA Online will have 30-player lobbies, with an additional two spaces for spectators. That would match the maximum size of lobbies in GTA Online currently, but if there is a bigger city to explore, fans would likely have a bit of peace and quiet from griefers.

  • GTA 6 news coming soon? Rockstar parent company teases new releases – Dexerto

GTA 6 news coming soon? Rockstar parent company teases new releases Take-Two Interactive/Rockstar GamesFans waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 will undoubtedly be excited by the latest message from Take-Two Interactive – the parent company of the acclaimed Rockstar Games. It’s hard to remember a game ever being as highly anticipated as the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series – despite the fact that no concrete announcements have even been made. February 6 saw Take-Two’s annual investor call, in which they discuss the company’s performance over the past year, as well as the future direction investors can expect the company to take. For obvious reasons, they remain vague in their discussions, but it still provides fans with an insight of what to expect. Among other notable announcements, Take-Two confirmed that there will be multiple releases from the company’s most significant franchises. While this could refer to a host of game series, including Borderlands, Red Dead, Bully or their 2K franchises, it’s hard to imagine there won’t be a Grand Theft Auto release at any point in the next 5 years. Both Borderlands and Red Dead have received installments in the last couple of years, while Grand Theft Auto V came out in 2013. “We are going to share more about the pipeline,” said Karl Slatoff, Take-Two’s President. “We’re hoping to share a lot more information with you over the coming months regarding that.” Despite the news that more information will be coming our way over the next few months, Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two’s Chairman, emphasized the continued support their biggest titles will be receiving, explicitly naming Borderlands 3 and Grand Theft Auto Online. He also confirmed that their policy to release a AAA game every year remains in place, but there has been no suggestion as to what that title will be. Millions will have their fingers crossed for another Grand Theft Auto title. The final major talking point was regarding Dan Houser’s departure from Rockstar Games. Read More: Most believable GTA 6 leaks so far – While many took this to be bad news for the potential of a Grand Theft Auto game, Take-Two’s senior figures insisted that this will not affect the work of Rockstar, and that all games “in the pipeline” will progress as normal. Overall, the investor-call is likely to put the community’s excitement into overdrive. The full transcript is available here.

  • GTA 6 “needs to exceed expectations” Rockstar reveals – Dexerto

GTA 6 “needs to exceed expectations” Rockstar reveals Rockstar GamesAs the hype surrounding GTA 6 continues to build, Rockstar has revealed how it aims to deliver an experience that will “exceed player expectations”. GTA 6 is one of the most hotly anticipated games in history, and the internet is constantly abuzz with various leaks and rumors. While Rockstar has yet to announce an official release date or show gameplay, the developers did reveal that they’re currently aiming to deliver upon the current hype. It’s certainly not going to be an easy task, especially since GTA fans have been waiting for updates on the next open-world title for nearly ten years. News surrounding GTA 6 is still scarce, but Rockstar excited fans during a recent Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Online Community Update. Rockstar wants GTA 6 to “exceed expectations” After confirming that support for GTA Online and Red Dead Online will start to scale back, they also revealed details on the development of GTA 6 – an area that obviously has fans excited. “Over the past few years, we have been steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series,” said Rockstar. “[we] understand more than ever the need to exceed players’ expectations and for this next entry to be the best it can possibly be.” This news comes after Rockstar officially announced that GTA 6 is in “active development,” stating that they are “pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway.” While the developers have yet to reveal any GTA 6 gameplay, this update will likely spark a lot of hype in the community. We’ll likely hear further updates so make sure you check out our GTA page for all the latest news on GTA 6. It’s been a busy year for GTA fans, with Rockstar’s work on other projects stalling due to bug fixes on the poorly-received GTA Trilogy remaster, while GTA Online’s next Summer Update is getting closer. Meanwhile, Red Dead fans are less pleased and have accused Rockstar of “abandoning” the Wild West adventure.

  • GTA 6 labeled “most important” release in history while game spending takes a hit – Dexerto

GTA 6 labeled “most important” release in history while game spending takes a hit Take-Two InteractiveRockstar’s GTA 6 may become the most important release in gaming history, according to one industry analyst. GTA 6 currently remains on track for its eagerly-anticipated 2025 launch on PlayStation and Xbox. The first official teaser took the internet by storm late last year, quickly becoming the most-viewed trailer launch in YouTube history. Naturally, such unprecedented hype puts a lot of pressure on Rockstar Games developers to deliver. This especially holds true since 12 years will sit between the new release and GTA 5’s historic launch on seventh-gen hardware. And one analyst just put into perspective the significance of the next Grand Theft Auto adventure. GTA 6 could have the most important game release in history Circana (formerly NPD) analyst Mat Piscatella recently sat down with GamesIndustry.biz to discuss current trends, gaming spending, and more. During the discussion, Piscatella noted that while 2024 will be “tough,” renewed interest in the industry should receive a boost in 2025 thanks to GTA 6. The analyst posits this will be because there’s likely not a more important game release in history than Rockstar’s next open-world opus. “This is going to be a tough year, but if you look towards 2025 – if interest rates come down and money becomes a little bit more free-flowing to devs and pubs – we should get a boost in the development cycle again. We’re going to get a renewed batch of interest with GTA 6, in particular. There’s probably never been a more important thing to ever release in the industry, so no pressure,” Piscatella stated. Considering GTA 5 topped 195 million units sold as of February 2024, Piscatella isn’t overstating GTA 6’s potential significance. The industry could use a boon. Optimistically, the Circana analyst posits game spending has dropped by roughly 2 percent. A pessimistic eye suggests spending is down 10 percent. And even with surprise successes like Palworld and Helldivers 2, game spending in 2024 won’t likely match that of 2023, especially since heavy hitters like Hogwarts Legacy and Spider-Man 2 proved essential and few comparable blockbusters are on the board for this year. But GTA 6 coming in as what could be the most important game release in history should turn the tide in 2025. The question now is, what part of the year does Rockstar plan on dropping its latest blockbuster?

  • GTA 6 might be using scrapped Bully 2 feature in huge open-world upgrade – Dexerto

GTA 6 might be using scrapped Bully 2 feature in huge open-world upgrade Rockstar GamesWith rumors that Rockstar will finally announce GTA 6 in 2022, a popular insider is teasing that a scrapped feature from Bully 2 could make its way into the next Grand Theft Auto installment. GTA 6 might just be the most anticipated game of all time. We are approaching ten years since the release of GTA 5 back on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and fans have been anxiously awaiting news on when the next entry will be formally announced. Despite numerous leaks and hints, many of which have yet to be confirmed, there has been plenty of frustration for gamers hoping that Rockstar would finally be on their way to revealing GTA 6. Now, amid news that Rockstar scrapped Bully 2, an insider has teased that a very advanced feature from the game could be brought back to life with GTA 6. Rockstar insider teases Bully 2 feature in GTA 6 As originally reported by Game Informer, Rockstar a fully playable demo of Bully 2 available before ultimately deciding to cancel the game. One of the unique features about it, however, was the fact that every building could be entered. According to Tez2, a well-known leaker in the community, fans could end up seeing this feature in action with GTA 6. Take this news with a grain of salt, but if true, the next Grand Theft Auto could be the most ambitious open-world game yet. “They definitely had interesting ideas and a functionable vertical slice, but faced issues with certain mechanics that would require more effort and a great budget for a game that may not be as successful as GTA,” Tez2 wrote In a post on GTAForums regarding the canceled Bully sequel. “Since then, Rockstar have talked about how the tools have improved since GTAV’s release under RDR2 development and will be improved even more under GTA 6 development too. Maybe by then, the tech Rockstar would have could solve most of the issues to do with Bully 2?” He went on to add: “The next upgrade, I could think of, for GTA 6 would be allowing us to access most if not all buildings or interiors we could see, but with the similar scale of open-world you could expect from a GTA game. The same selling point, but with a franchise that would definitely sell and a bigger scale of course.” Being able to enter every building in a large map, such as a rumored return to Vice City, would be quite the undertaking, but it would also be a major advancement in creating a true open world. Whether or not Tez2’s prediction proves to be accurate or not remains to be seen, but he had previously suggested that Rockstar would be announcing GTA 6 this year with a release planned for 2023, so 2022 could be a great time for fans.

  • GTA 6 might be easier to develop with AI but Take-Two won’t drop the price – Dexerto

GTA 6 might be easier to develop with AI but Take-Two won’t drop the price Rockstar GamesA GTA 6 studio executive revealed their plans for the use of generative AI in the company’s future. However, despite a potential reduction in costs from efficiency, games won’t get any less expensive. GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time and thanks to Rockstar, we know a trailer is right around the corner. Despite all the hype around it though, GTA 6 could leave a bad taste in the mouths of gamers, and not because they drank their own pee. The widespread use of AI in games is a controversial subject, particularly where creative disciplines are concerned. Xbox recently landed in some hot water after announcing that generative AI will be used for scripts and dialogue in their games. Now it looks like Take-Two and Rockstar will be following suit according to a recent earnings call. Some players have rationalized the use of AI in game development by saying it will make things cheaper, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says it might but those savings won’t be passed on to gamers. “Our entertainment properties are created largely in and by computers. We value tools. We create those tools internally, and we license tools as well,” Zelnick explained to investors. “The new developments in AI are really exciting, and I’ve said publicly and repeatedly that I believe that they’ll help create efficiency.” Echoing popular sentiment from supporters of generative AI in development, Zelnick expressed that the technology could reduce busywork. “The changes will be – menial work will probably be reduced or eliminated; high-level work will be enhanced in importance,” he said. “Our strategy is to be the most creative, the most innovative, and the most efficient company in the business, and I think AI probably ticks all three boxes,” Zelnick asserted. “But don’t expect the price tags to go down. Just expect everything to get better.” Despite his insistence that “creative people” will still be needed, critics have suggested that increased implementation of AI will cost human jobs. Given the massive amounts of layoffs in the industry this year, you could be forgiven for assuming they’re correct. Zelnick also expects “competition to become more intense for people who are not able to avail themselves of the resources that we can afford”. Reading between the lines, it can be assumed that he means smaller developers who cannot afford licenses to certain tech may flounder in this new age. It’s not yet known how this generative AI has impacted the development of GTA 6 or exactly how it has been used. We expect more news will make its way to us following the trailer reveal in December and you’ll find our coverage of it here.

  • GTA 6 may feature the most lifelike animations yet with groundbreaking new patent – Dexerto

GTA 6 may feature the most lifelike animations yet with groundbreaking new patent Rockstar GamesThe excitement continues to build around GTA 6 as a dedicated fan has uncovered a groundbreaking patent for revolutionary in-game character animations. Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are hungry for any kind of updates relating to the highly-anticipated Rockstar Games title. Over the years, the GTA community has unearthed all kinds of news relating to the game, with patents regarding GTA 6’s multiple evolving cities and a seamless online experience devoid of unnecessary loading times all coming to light. The latest discovery comes from a Reddit user named Tobbelobben30, who stumbled upon a groundbreaking patent that could very well revolutionize in-game character animations in GTA 6. The player started their investigation after spotting the name “Tobias Kleanthous” within the GTA 6 leaks. A quick search led to Kleanthous’s LinkedIn profile in which Tobbelobben spotted his tenure at Rockstar Games from 2014 to late 2021, in which he worked on AI, gameplay, and animation. Also featured on Kleanthous’ profile is a patent titled “System and Method for Virtual Character Locomotion.” The document outlines a sophisticated system for controlling the animation and movement of in-game objects, utilizing a library of small building blocks for character movements. The system can combine blocks in many ways to create a wide range of animations, paving the way for more diverse and lifelike character interactions. For keen GTA 6 fans, this means seeing characters in the game seamlessly transition between separate animations, such as a leisurely walk down the street, to showing signs of fatigue or reacting to an injury. This is in place of the usual, separate pre-designed animations for each scenario. Leaked logs provide a sneak peek into this system in action, with examples of animation blocks dictating character movements in specific situations. Tobbelobben also highlighted instances from gameplay leaks, such as police officers dynamically adjusting their cover and stance based on their surroundings, showcasing the potential for smarter, more challenging NPC interactions. This new patent discovery once again adds to the excitement surrounding GTA 6 as fans remain hopeful for any kind of announcement or reveal from Rockstar.

  • GTA 6 map leak reveals massive size of Vice City compared to Los Santos – Dexerto

GTA 6 map leak reveals massive size of Vice City compared to Los Santos Rockstar GamesGTA 6’s return to Vice City is looking like it could be the biggest open world of all time thanks to evidence that surfaced through leaked developmental footage. The infamous GTA 6 leaks from 2022 confirmed numerous rumors about Rockstar’s long-awaited next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series including its location along and its female protagonist. In addition to showing us incredible next-gen graphics, the leaks also gave players an idea of how big the upcoming open-world title will be based on Rage Engine Units in the footage. As such, the GTA VI Vice City Mapping Project has shared a detailed look at just how big the world will be and it absolutely dwarfs what GTA 5 had to offer with Los Santos. GTA 6’s Vice City map is completely massive In a post on Reddit, user ‘tusstaster’ uploaded a photo of GTA 6’s alleged map side-by-side with Los Santos in order to showcase the true size difference between the two. As you can see by the map, there’s a lot more land in GTA 6 and it looks it will take players ages to comb through every nook and cranny once they’re able to explore it. Surprisingly, however, there seems to be even more of the map than the files indicated and it could stretch even further north than what we currently know. “There are countless Cities/Towns such as York Town, Red Hill, etc found in the files. Most of these locations point towards north of Port Gelhorn, making the map expand even further north,” the user pointed out. Leaked reports have claimed that GTA 6 will cut portions of the game and hold them for DLC in order to release the game sooner. This might mean that parts of the map will be added post-launch. With rumors suggesting that Rockstar will finally officially unveil the game later this year, hopefully, we won’t have long to wait to find out for ourselves how the leaked map coordinates line up with the finished product.

  • GTA 6 map leak resurfaces but it’s not totally real – Dexerto

GTA 6 map leak resurfaces but it’s not totally real Rockstar GamesA part of the GTA 6 map found in the massive leaks has resurfaced, however, parts of it aren’t real despite claims otherwise. Back in September of 2022, Rockstar Games suffered a massive leak that gave the world the first glimpses of GTA 6. Around 90 videos hit the internet for a brief period before they were ultimately struck down by Rockstar and Take-Two. Those clips were from the game’s early development stage, and fans got their first look at the two main characters, some of the new features that missions will have, and the setting for the game. Even though Rockstar hasn’t yet confirmed it, that setting is set to be Vice City and an expanded part of the Florida-inspired backdrop. Parts of the map have surfaced online as well, but not everything is above board. GTA 6 map leak resurfaces but it’s not all real We’ve seen multiple hoaxes of players using different games and generated locations claiming to be from GTA 6, but there is a new one that’s been popping up across social media. If you haven’t seen it, well, it’s a part of the map zoomed in and appears to be a coastline. On the left side of the image – or in some cases, images – you can see the water and docks. This part, which is covered in lines, is real and was shown in those leaks from September. What isn’t totally real is the right side of the photo, where the lines become a little less hectic and spread out. This is likely an AI-generated part of a hoax, but it certainly isn’t from the original leak. These pictures have been shared around social media in numerous different ways, with some trying to claim they’ve taken a quick snap of a dev’s computer in the Rockstar offices. It just isn’t true. The fact that they haven’t been struck down by Rockstar or Take-Two is a bit of a giveaway, given they’ve gone after anyone still uploading actual leaks. So, be wary of that the next time you see someone claiming to have the scoop on GTA 6.

GTA 6 map: “International” location hint uncovered in Rockstar job listing Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto’s passionate fans have become experts in digging up clues or hints during their wait for a GTA 6 release date, and they might have just made a big discovery in a Rockstar Games job listing. Another GTA 6 map hint has been uncovered. One of the most long-standing theories in the game’s community has been a potential move to an international location, with a few places in South America touted in previous leaks. With Cayo Perico taking GTA Online players to the coast of Colombia, as well as the GTA Trilogy Remastered going back to Vice City and San Andreas, rumors have cooled about different locations of late. However, the rumor mill is back and it’s turning as fast as ever after some details were revealed on Rockstar’s official website. GTA 6 map location could be “international” In October 2021, the studio put out a job advert for a Photogrammetry Artist in Toronto, with hints that have fueled further speculation about the next setting. For those who don’t know already, a Photogrammetry Artist’s key responsibility when working on video game projects is usually to scan real-life objects and create 3D models. This can also be used to create entire landscapes to appear just as it does in real life, which could be a hint at Rockstar’s interest in taking GTA 6 to another city. It states in the job description: “Discuss and plan possible scan locations with Art Team, both local and international.” The job post also says the successful candidate will have “drone flying experience and qualifications,” which is common in this type of role for scanning large areas. Reactions Since the discovery was made, fans on Reddit have been discussing the possibility of the series moving away from the United States with the next installment. Not all of them are convinced, however. One user posted: “It’s Rockstar Toronto hiring, so in Canada. GTA (and Red Dead) take place in the US, so if it’s on-location scans for terrain or buildings, that would be in the US (so in another country, or international, for someone in Canada).” Another said: “This is a method Microsoft used for Flight Simulator 2020.” What can be concluded is that this goes nowhere in terms of forming a solid link between the GTA 6 project, rumored to be underway without an announcement, and any specific international locations just yet. While players should take every hint with a pinch of salt, though, you just never know.

  • Will the GTA 6 map really be based on the entire United States? – Dexerto

Will the GTA 6 map really be based on the entire United States? Rockstar GamesAfter months (or years) of speculation, we may finally have a clue as to what the GTA 6 map will look like. Here is a GTA 6 map concept of the United States. United States Miami, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are all rumored locations for the incredibly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 game. Fans have been speculating as to which of these places is the most likely location for GTA 6. Miami makes a lot of sense as Rockstar have yet to return to the iconic Vice City. The same applies for the state of San Andreas, though, which would see a return to San Fierro and Las Venturas. Elsewhere, Liberty City has been a staple of the GTA series and although Los Santos has been the location of GTA 5, many refused to rule it out for GTA 6. Astonishingly, and to the delight of GTA fans everywhere, it appears that all of these locations could feature. That’s right, a huge GTA world comprised of all the previous iconic locations. Glassdoor review This is according to a rather interesting review on the Glassdoor website. Glassdoor provide company reviews to show potential employees what it is like to work there. One of the companies that are featured on the site is Rockstar. This means current and former employees are able to post about their experiences of working with the developer. One current employee left an interesting review, to say the least. They post quite a negative outlook on the company but within that review is an anagram that potentially reveals GTA 6’s most desired secret. The acrostic passage of text spells out ‘GTA 6 LS VC LC,’ which has been interpreted to mean GTA 6 Los Santos, Vice City, Liberty City. This, of course, is suggestive that GTA 6 will entail all of Los Santos, Vice City and Liberty City. This review certainly doesn’t confirm this information, but it is perhaps the most convincing leak to date. GTA 6 map concept Assuming that’s true, this leaves the question what will the map look like. Prior to this leak, it had been rumored that GTA 6 would attempt to cover the entirety of the United States. As a result, the map could be a modified version which include the maps from GTA 3 (or GTA 4), Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 5. The image above is probably the best concept we have seen so far. In reality, however, it will probably look somewhat different. The locations such as Liberty City in the top right (New York), Vice City bottom right (Miami), etc are likely accurate. Regardless, this news has only increased the hype for what could be the biggest game of all time. Until all is revealed, enjoy the rumors and remember that it isn’t confirmed until Rockstar announce it.

  • Complete GTA 6 map design of Las Venturas looks as good as real – Dexerto

Complete GTA 6 map design of Las Venturas looks as good as real Rockstar GamesWith no release date in sight for the highly anticipated next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, fans have been left to their own devices, coming up with concepts for how the game could end up. Although we know essentially nothing about GTA 6, except that it’s in development, some fans of the series are already hoping for a return to the West Coast setting seen in San Andreas, specifically the city of Las Venturas. Based on the real-world Las Vegas, this would provide an opportunity for the city/desert split that was seen in GTA V, as one fan has mocked up. Las Venturas GTA 6 concept In GTA V, although there was a large urban portion of the map, the bulk of it was actually more rural. This was a departure from previous entries in the series, which focused mainly on cities exclusively, especially with GTA IV. With this in mind, this GTA fan has combined the large city environment with a sprawling desert area surrounding Las Venturas. Not only is this map design inspired by GTA V’s, but possibly also by the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, which will also feature a large desert area, called the outlands. This will sit outside of the main ‘Night City’, just like Las Venturas does here. As San Andreas players will know, Bone County is the large sandy area in the north of the map, housing the top-secret Area 69 (inspired by Area 51, of course). Fort Carson also makes a return in this map concept, the largest town in Bone County. For the city proper, it features the iconic Vegas strip, and we can only imagine all the criminal ongoings that would be possible in the City of Sin. When we finally do get a reveal of where GTA 6 is headed, this fan is clearly hoping that some of his ideas might come to life in a reimagined creation of Las Venturas. But, other leaks have suggested a return to the east coast instead, either Liberty City or Vice City.

  • Where will the GTA 6 map be based? Biggest map ever rumored for next Grand Theft Auto location – Dexerto

Where will the GTA 6 map be based? Biggest map ever rumored for next Grand Theft Auto location The eventual release of GTA 6 remains shrouded in mystery. However, that hasn’t stopped fans speculating as to where the next Grand Theft Auto will be located. GTA 6 map The next instalment could be one of the biggest games ever, period. That’s in terms of map size and the magnitude of its release. While there are a lot of elements which will determine how great GTA 6 will be, there are arguably none more critical than the map itself. Therefore, the decision as to where it will be based is very important. It’s a decision that Rockstar can ill-afford to get wrong and, given their track record, they probably won’t. Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? Rumors, release date, story and more for the next Grand Theft Auto game – London, LA and a return to Miami’s fictional Vice City have all been rumored at some point. Let’s go through what has been rumored and the variety of locations GTA 6 could be based on. Vice City: Miami Perhaps the most likely location at this point, purely based on logic, would be Miami. The fictional Vice City is an appropriate location as Miami has proved perfect in the past. It would be a welcome touch of nostalgia, some might say. There’s also the question of what era GTA 6 will be based on. It seems most fans are opposed to a GTA game based in the future but Vice City presents Rockstar an opportunity to go back to the 80s. There may be some reluctance on behalf of Rockstar, though, as an older time period does cause limitations. Los Angeles Some of you will be unimpressed by the mere suggestion of another GTA game based in LA. However, with the success of Los Santos and GTA 5 it is entirely possible that Rockstar will stick with what works. It’s also expected that the GTA 6 map will be significantly better than any map previous to it. A new generation of consoles will enable maps far bigger than we’ve ever seen. Consequently, this means there’s the potential to do the entirety of California. It would justify revisiting Los Angeles, if it were to be a fraction of the map. London One of the more touted rumors is GTA 6 being set in the UK, specifically London. This would be the first time a GTA game has ventured outside of the United States since they were last in London, in 1999. A London map would present a completely different theme to the game and could be a welcome change up to recent titles. However, once again, much like Vice City, the downside might outweigh the upside. Some of the GTA fanbase might not like a game set in the UK and this could alienate a portion of the GTA community. Conversely, sticking with a location that is tried and tested will guarantee success and sales, albeit at the expense of something different. Dan Houser, the head writer at Rockstar Games, told The Guardian that GTA probably wouldn’t be the right franchise for Rockstar to tell a UK-based story with. “GTA London was cool for the time,” he said, referring to the original Grand Theft Auto game. He continued, “But games were more limited then. These days I think we would love to set a game in the UK, set in London, whatever, but I don’t know if it would be a GTA game.” Chicago Crime and gang warfare is well documented in Chicago. A GTA game based on the ‘Windy City’ would provide a new location to the series and provide an excellent backstory. While not the most glamorous, at least in comparison to parts of Los Santos, a Chicago map would allow you to live through what it’s like to be a gang member. It probably isn’t the front runner with safer alternatives but it’s an option that shouldn’t be disregarded. All of America One of the more far-fetched sounding rumors is that GTA 6 will be located in all of America. However, when considering the rumored power of the PS5 and new Xbox consoles, it isn’t as unlikely as it seems. Consoles become exponentially more powerful every generation. This means that new consoles won’t just be capable of two or three times bigger maps, but 10 times or more. A diluted version of the United States would tick a lot of boxes. It would allow settings of all types and keep the entire fanbase happy. Furthermore, it would create excitement and hype never before seen in a video game release. Outside of Rockstar nobody knows when GTA 6 is coming or where it will be based. It could be a while before we find out, so until then we are left with speculation and rumors. Where would you like to see GTA 6 based?

  • GTA 6 Lucia voice actor: Fans convinced they’ve found actor behind new GTA protagonist – Dexerto

GTA 6 Lucia voice actor: Fans convinced they’ve found actor behind new GTA protagonist RockstarGTA 6 fans are so eager to find out every little detail they can about the game, and now they believe they’ve found the voice actor for Lucia, GTA VI‘s protagonist – but nothing is confirmed yet. Thanks to the first GTA 6 trailer, we know that at least one main protagonist will be Lucia, with speculation and leaks pointing to the other protagonist being Jason, also seen in the trailer, but not named. We only hear one word from Jason in the trailer, as Lucia was the main focus, and so fans have spent time trying to track down voice actors who match up to her lines. And, the community now believes they have identified the actor who has been cast in the role for the next GTA. Although Rockstar has confirmed nothing, and likely won’t for some time, fans are certain this is the Lucia voice actor. Lucia voice actor for GTA 6 found? At first, posts on X/Twitter began circulating claiming that Ana Esposito is Lucia in GTA 6, but later, they changed their mind to another actor, Manni L Perez. Their evidence to support the claim was that both actors have a similar face to Lucia, as well as of course, a distinctly similar voice. Most fans are now convinced that Lucia is played by Manni L Perez in GTA 6. “While on the hunt for Lucia’s actor in #GTA6 the community has found Manni L Perez who sounds and looks just like Lucia,” said one of many viral tweets on the topic. “In an interview, a hosts brings up GTA which results in Manni’s facial expression automatically changes and she says ‘no’ to the question of her possibly being in the game.” Another interview clip shows Perez explaining that she has been “transitioning” her career towards voiceover and motion capture, which of course would line up with video game work. Some have been critical of the sleuths, worried that this unconfirmed speculation will lead to a headache for the actor, but she currently has no public social media profile. As noted, there is no confirmation at all that this is, in fact, the voice actor for Lucia, but unless fans find another viable possibility, they will likely stick with this theory until Rockstar either confirms or refutes it by releasing the actual cast names. The next trailer for GTA 6, whenever it does arrive, is expected to focus more on the other protagonist, possibly called Jason, at which point fans will no doubt attempt to track down that voice actor too.

  • 6 sequels that make the agonizing wait for GTA 6 more bearable – Dexerto

6 sequels that make the agonizing wait for GTA 6 more bearable Rockstar/id Software/BethesdaThe seemingly never ending wait for GTA 6 continues as fans eagerly await some form of announcement from Rockstar. It has been nearly seven years and counting, but these huge titles took even longer for a sequel. Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in 2013 and is still one of the most played and revered games today. Not many titles released in 2013 can claim anything close to that – a testament to just how great GTA 5 is. Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? Rumors, release date, story and more for the next Grand Theft Auto game – Despite the current game’s popularity, fans are clamoring for the next title, which will almost certainly be called GTA 6. The gap between the two is already greater than any other in the series, and will only increase as the new Grand Theft Auto game isn’t expected to release until late 2020 at the very earliest. The wait may feel longer than it is because of the enormity of the GTA series. After all, it is one of the biggest games of all time. However, Rockstar’s most popular creation isn’t the only mammoth title which has made gamers wait for a sequel. The gaps between these make the wait for GTA VI seems like a walk in the park. Doom 2 to Doom 3 The iconic Doom series needs little introduction. After dominating the mid 1990s it is considered a pioneer for the first-person shooter genre today. The original Doom released in 1993 and was quickly followed up by 2 in 1994. It wasn’t until 2004 when fans were finally treated to Doom 3 – 10 years later. The wait came in large part due to the reluctance of id Software’s owners. They believed their other projects had been using the same formulas and ideas too often, and therefore didn’t want to do a Doom sequel. However, after employees gave an ultimatum of let us develop Doom 3 or fire us, the game was agreed to. Fallout 2 to Fallout 3 The Fallout series attempts to provide an insight into what a post-apocalyptic world would look like. Bethesda are now synonymous with the series but they didn’t develop either Fallout 1 or 2. They bought the intellectual rights to these games before making 3. The gap between 2 and 3 was also 10 years. While Fallout 2 may look unrecognisable by today’s graphical standards, both are considered two of the best RPG games of all time. Fans were also made to wait a further seven years for Fallout 4. Devil May Cry 4 to Devil May Cry 5 Between the years of 2001 and 2008, four Devil May Cry games were made. However, fans of the series would have to wait 11 years before a fifth version of the game was made. The hack and slash action-adventure has sold 17 million copies worldwide across all versions. Duke Nukem 3D to Duke Nukem Forever The title of Duke Nukem Forever became a meme due to its apt name. Of course fans joke that the “forever” part is in reference to how long it took to release – and they aren’t far wrong. Duke Nukem Forever went into development in 1997 but wasn’t released until 2011. With Duke Nukem 3D releasing in 1996, the gap between the games is a massive 15 years. Unfortunately Duke Nukem Forever didn’t live up the long overdrawn hype, receiving unanimously bad reviews from various outlets. That isn’t to take away from Duke Nukem 3D, though, which alongside Doom is considered one of the best FPS games of all time. Shenmue 2 to Shenmue 3 After a wait of 18 years, Shenmue fans were finally given a third installment of the game. The cult classic Shenmue 2 was released on the Dreamcast all the way back in 2001, while the next edition came in November 2019. More than $6 million was pledged to the Kickstarter with nearly 70,000 backers, but the game’s development had been continually pushed back. Skyrim to The Elder Scrolls 6 Our final game has yet to be released and puts shame to GTA fans who are moaning about the wait they’re currently experiencing. There is still no release date for TES 6, and it doesn’t look like one will be forthcoming anytime soon. Its predecessor, Skyrim, released all the way back in 2011 – two years before GTA 5. As things stand, it looks likely GTA 6 will release before whatever TES6 is titled. This means the wait for the next Elder Scrolls game will dwarf that of Grand Theft Auto. While we don’t know the release date, Bethesda’s Todd Howard has alluded to a possible release date for the Elder Scrolls title. With a 2022 release at the earliest, GTA fans should be thankful they’ve had to wait less than a decade. GTA VI might be a long wait, but the above releases show it could be a lot worse. Besides, the seven, eight, or even nine years we have to wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 will likely be worth it.

  • GTA 6 locations may have been ‘leaked’ by Rockstar co-founder years ago – Dexerto

GTA 6 locations may have been ‘leaked’ by Rockstar co-founder years ago Graphics: Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto leakers have claimed a number of possible GTA 6 locations were leaked in 2013, with a document apparently authored by Rockstar Games’ co-founder Sam Houser revealing some cities the game may be set in. This would be an astonishing development, if it was to be accurate, meaning that while many of the game’s online community are still waiting around for an official announcement for the project in 2020, it was actually in pre-development some seven years ago. What is being reported as a “secret document” has apparently fell into the hands of leakers Yan2295 and Razed, who some fans of the franchise will have heard of before, as they have leaked GTA details ahead of schedule in the past. The latter, Razed, is the one who claims to have acquired the document, with a number of supposedly leaked details being included in a six-minute video package – compiled and posted by YouTube account GTA expert. Inside the video, it’s claimed that 60 people were already working on GTA 6 as early as 2013 and that there were a number of different “spit ball” locations in mind. This means that a number of ideas were circling for the new game but nothing solid had been settled on. One of these ideas included a possible return to the Miami-inspired setting of Vice City. The original game was released back in 2002 and has proven to be one of the most popular ever. However, the document in question stated that the developers questioned what would be left to explore if they made the sought after return. It’s not just Vice City that’s been mentioned in this supposed secret file, however, with a few other potential settings being mentioned during the course of the video. These can be found below: Vegas in the 1970s – Casino/Las Venturas – Chicago/Detroit – snowy location – Mexico City – Small town GTA – tight stories, more realism, if wanted you are on the run for a while – Previous reported ‘leaks’ have claimed that a move to Bogotá in Colombia could be set for GTA 6, although there’s no mention of the capital city in this document. Vice City and Fort Lauderdale have been appearing heavily in rumors and leaks, though, with this being yet another continuation of that. However, it does claim that we could see fans taken back in time by 50 years, returning to the 1970s for some backstory content, which would be an interesting development for the campaign. If they have been working on this since 2013, though, there’s no telling what Rockstar Games might pull off when the game is finally revealed. To that point, it’s also very difficult to clarify as to whether or not these leaks are actually accurate. Even if they are, if these discussions were being made surrounding potential locations seven years ago, there’s also a chance – even if true – that plans changed over the course of time. We have reached out for comment from Rockstar and will update this story with any further information, should it be given to us.

  • GTA 6 leaks explained: Hacker allegedly chasing “deal” with Rockstar – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaks explained: Hacker allegedly chasing “deal” with Rockstar Rockstar GamesFollowing the massive leaks surrounding GTA 6, the party behind the leak is apparently looking to negotiate with Rockstar Games. For those who may have missed it, GTA 6 was recently the subject of major leaks, which potentially revealed upcoming characters, vehicles, and one major returning location. Though holding company Take-Two Interactive has started to DMCA existing footage, much of it has already been spread around thanks to the initial leaker. Now, that same leaker is looking to contact developer Rockstar Games themselves and is apparently interested in “negotiating a deal” with them. Over 90 gameplay videos leak online The situation began after a user by the name teapotuberhacker posted a ZIP file on GTAForums.com which contained over 90 videos showing preview build gameplay of GTA 6. “Hi, here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. Its [sic] possible I could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build,” before leaving contact info at the end of the post. While still officially unconfirmed by either Rockstar or Take-Two itself, the gameplay videos do seem to corroborate other leaks, such as the inclusion of a female protagonist among other things. GTA 6 hacker shares more info to verify leaks Many members of the GTA 6 forum remained skeptical of the leak, which led the hacker to post more and more information to verify the leak was authentic. Notably, the hacker shared various screenshots of source code from GTA 5 and GTA 6. Finally, the hacker posted more photos and videos of allegedly in-development footage, which included unfinished textures and models. While brief, these videos show scenarios like the male and female protagonists robbing a diner, the main character interacting with NPCs, and exploring the inside of a strip club. GTA 6 hacker looking to contact Rockstar After the leak gained traction online, Take-Two Interactive began to issue DMCA takedowns to the leaked footage. Additionally, teapotuberhacker updated their original forum post to include this: “Ok so this has gone unexpectedly viral, woke up to 3000 Telegram DM’s. If you are a [sic] employee of Rockstar or Take2 and your [sic] trying to contact me… I will try to read all these reply soon – i am looking to negotiate a deal.” According to Freelance Writer Tom Henderson on Twitter, someone pretending to be a Rockstar or Take-Two employee contacted the hacker. GTA 6 leaker claims to have Bully 2 information Alongside the GTA 6 leaks, the same hacker known only as Tea Pot claims to have material from Bully 2’s development too. YouTuber LegacyKillaHD shared a Twitter conversation that is circulating on social media, with the leaker alleging they have “Bully 2 development plans for sale.” Industry members respond to the leaks Following this massive leak, members of the video game industry have spoken out about the situation. Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckman took to Twitter to offer his support for the developers affected by the leak. “To my fellow devs out there affected by the latest leak, know that while it feels overwhelming right now, it’ll pass.” Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier tweeted out that he has “confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real.” To those who asked: There are several reasons this is a nightmare for Rockstar. One is that it’ll disrupt work for a while. Another is that it may lead management to limit work-from-home flexibility. The repercussions of this leak might not be clear for quite a while — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) September 18, 2022 “The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games.” As this is still a developing situation this piece will be updated as more information surrounding this major Rockstar Games leak surfaces.

  • GTA 6 leaker warns Rockstar’s long-awaited sequel may not arrive until 2025 – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker warns Rockstar’s long-awaited sequel may not arrive until 2025 Rockstar GamesRockstar’s next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series could be further off than anticipated, with new GTA 6 leaks hinting at a “2024-2025” release window for the long-awaited sequel. GTA V launched in 2013 and yet eight years on, its follow-up is still nowhere to be seen. Developers at Rockstar Games are yet to comment on rumors and leaks that continue to pile up while they hire for new roles on the sixth entry. While various leaks have pointed towards 2022 or 2023 as a likely release window, new reports from industry insiders claim those dates are premature. Rather, GTA’s sixth core release could be held back until 2025 at the latest. Prominent leaker Tom Henderson delved into the latest developments in a June 27 upload, claiming that we may not see GTA VI “until 2024-2025.” “If you’re expecting to play this game in the next couple of years I would put your expectations in check,” Henderson said. Multiple factors have led to a delayed-release for one of the most anticipated games of all time. For starters, Rockstar is continuing to address its ‘crunch’ culture by focusing “heavily on employee wellbeing,” according to the leaker. This means many studios are aiming to “avoid very harsh hours” throughout the development of GTA VI. Moreover, Henderson claims the next GTA “is going to release solely on current-gen consoles and PC.” “It is not going to release on past-generation consoles,” he added. Henderson speculated that Rockstar is waiting for current-gen hardware to become more widely available. GTA V remains a best-seller month after month in 2021. With GTA Online’s popularity still surging, there’s allegedly no big rush to get the sequel on store shelves. Instead, we could be waiting another three or four years for GTA VI. While Henderson is regarded for his accurate Call of Duty leaks, it’s still worth taking this GTA information with a grain of salt. Though given Rockstar is continuing to hire for key roles, signs certainly point towards the game still being in early development. We’ll just have to wait and see how the roadmap pans out for Rockstar over the next few years. • GTA 6 leaker teases game announcement with cryptic messages – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker teases game announcement with cryptic messages Rockstar GamesAn apparent Grand Theft Auto leaker has hinted at the possibility of there being an announcement for GTA 6 coming in the near future. Ever since Rockstar followed up the release of GTA V with Red Dead Redemption 2, fans of the uber-popular Grand Theft Auto franchise have been awaiting a new game – GTA VI, to be exact. There has been plenty of speculation about what could be set to come in the next installment of the GTA series – with rumors of a game spanning decades, different countries, and even different parts of already much-loved Grand Theft Auto locations. However, with Rockstar keeping supremely silent, no one is quite sure what is coming next. Yet, speculation has been growing surrounding a possible announcement in the near future. The first instance of this was uncovered by YouTuber MrBossFTW when another apparent insider claimed that March 25 was a day to look out for. Yet, fans have uncovered more. An apparent Rockstar leaker on the GTAForums, known as ‘gonnaenodaethat’ has been dropping cryptic hints with posts in different threads and private messages. The poster, who supposedly has a track record for insider information – including teasing details about the RDR2 trailer before it was released – has been dropping speculation about the new game, including references to possible drug dealing in-game. The account also posted a direct message to another poster telling them that they were “closer than you think,” which was immediately grasped on to as further fuel to the fire than an announcement could be set for the near future. Of course, at the minute, this is all speculation from hopeful fans who are hoping that the supposed insider will come through for them again as they did with Red Dead Redemption 2. Whether or not Rockstar will reveal GTA 6 anytime soon in any type of trailer, teaser, or confirmation of its existence still, very much, remains to be seen.

  • GTA 6 leaker says Rockstar “looking at” adding GTA RP into new game – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker says Rockstar “looking at” adding GTA RP into new game Rockstar GamesRockstar Games is reportedly looking into adding roleplay elements into GTA 6 following the unprecedented success of GTA RP on Twitch. GTA RP has become a huge phenomenon on Twitch with many of the platform’s top streamers roleplaying as their characters to the tune of thousands of viewers. The modded versions of GTA Online have caused GTA 5 to skyrocket back into the top of Twitch’s most-popular game categories and it seems like Rockstar has been paying close attention. With GTA 6 finally announced by Rockstar, a well-known insider is claiming that they’re seriously looking into incorporating RP into the next title. (segment begins at 34:40 for mobile viewers) GTA 6 will reportedly have GTA RP features During a Crash Games stream discussing GTA 6 and other big games in development, Tom Henderson revealed some of what Rockstar has in the works for the next Grand Theft Auto. When asked about mod tools and GTA RP-like server tools for admins being available, Henderson explained that Rockstar is already focusing on it. “They’re looking into it. I think that will be a strong driving factor just based on the technology side of things,” he said. “Like, the AI, for example, the AI’s going to be more sophisticated. That’s a fact. The AI is going to be much better in this game. More interactable.” According to Henderson, advanced AI will lead to a lot of potential for roleplay and open up some new doors for gamers. “The online stuff is where their minds are going to be at. Hopefully, it means we get a good story for the game. But I imagine stuff is being built from the ground up on GTA 6 rather than GTA Online becoming this massive thing that they may or may not have been expecting,” he added. Henderson further suggested that Rockstar could be looking at GTA 6 being the “ultimate title” and have it alive for the next two decades. As always, until Rockstar confirms anything themselves, take this information with a grain of salt, but given the success of GTA RP, seeing elements find their way into Grand Theft Auto 6 seems like a very likely possibility.

  • GTA 6 leaker says announcement could be coming on GTA Online’s 10th anniversary – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker says announcement could be coming on GTA Online’s 10th anniversary Rockstar GamesA GTA 6 announcement could be coming a lot sooner than you think, according to a reliable Rockstar Games insider and leaker. Rockstar Games has kept quiet about GTA 6 since first revealing the game was in development and then promising it would set entertainment benchmarks when it’s finally out. Despite a notorious leak giving players their first look at the title and confirming a return to Vice City was in the works, fans of the series are still holding out for the true reveal. According to GTA 6 leaker Tez2, that announcement could be coming shortly as GTA Online prepares to celebrate its massive tenth anniversary. GTA 6 reveal details teased by Rockstar insider In a post on GTA Forums, Tez2 commented that Rockstar could be planning to update fans about GTA 6 later this summer. “I feel like the next time we could receive some news or an update is around June or July. Likely the latter,” he said. “If Rockstar were to tease anything GTA6 related within GTA Online around September or October, it has to be included with the Summer update. And Rockstar is very aware of us dataminers.” However, this is where GTA Online’s milestone anniversary could play a big factor. Tez2 thinks Rockstar might use the date to provide news on the next title. The insider believes this could be done through an event or activity using ‘Treasure Hunt’ as an example for Red Dead Redemption 2. Interestingly, the Rockstar devs are promising some big things coming to GTA Online this year, with a “bunch of ideas in the works” leading up to the end of 2023. We’ll have to see what the company has in store, but sure enough, expect an official announcement to break the internet when it finally happens ahead of a rumored 2024 release.

  • GTA 6 leaker reveals surprising location Rockstar initially planned for new city – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker reveals surprising location Rockstar initially planned for new city Rockstar GamesA major GTA 6 leak sheds some new light on where Rockstar initially planned on taking the series for its sixth installment and it’s somewhere you’d not expect. GTA 6 was finally confirmed to be in development earlier in 2022, with Rockstar stating that work on the title was “well underway.” While nothing else has been confirmed just yet, hints have suggested that fans will return to Vice City for the upcoming game. However, in what is sure to baffle many of the most hardcore of GTA enthusiasts, it seems like the game was originally going to see the franchise in a brand new location not seen before. Of course, take this news with a grain of salt, but if true, it could show that Rockstar plans for GTA 6 to be a wild new breath of fresh air for the series, even if they decided to go with a fan-favorite location in the end. Leaker says GTA 6 could have taken place in North Carolina According to insider Matheusvictorbr, when Rockstar was first coming up with locations for the next GTA game, one idea was to take the series to a completely new area. “Nothing that important here, one more of the initial ideas for approaching the locations of the next Grand Theft Auto title, was the state of North Carolina,” Matheus wrote on Twitter. Amusingly, North Carolina finds itself somewhat in between both New York and Florida, which are stand-ins for GTA’s iconic Liberty City and Vice City locations. Nada tão importante aqui, mais uma das ideias iniciais para abordagem de localizações do próximo título Grand Theft Auto, Foi o estado da Carolina do Norte – EUA. — mvbr★ (@Mvbrr) March 21, 2022 The leaker didn’t elaborate on the claim, but it seems like Rockstar abandoned that idea, so don’t expect to see a new state in the sixth installment. In any case, we’ll have to find out where the next game takes place once Rockstar finally decides to unveil more about the long-awaited GTA 6, but going by other insiders, we may need to wait until the end of the year to finally learn more.

  • GTA 6 leaker reveals Rockstar’s plans for single-player DLC and new cities – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker reveals Rockstar’s plans for single-player DLC and new cities Rockstar GamesA well-known Rockstar Games insider has revealed new details for how GTA 6 will expand with new DLC content post-launch. GTA 6 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games of all time. Despite Rockstar not releasing any footage or details about the game officially yet, they have promised that the title will hit new benchmarks in the industry and entertainment as a whole. Recent reports from reputable sources have also revealed that the sixth installment in the series will include a female protagonist as one of two playable characters as well as a return to Vice City. Additionally, GTA 6 is said to have at once point featured more locations and characters, but the game was changed to focus around Vice City. Now, however, an established insider has teased that those scrapped locations will be making a return as DLC. GTA 6 post-launch DLC plans leaked According to Tez2, who originally reported on remakes of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption being scrapped, Rockstar will be returning to the world of single-player DLC with GTA 6. In a post on GTAForums, the insider claimed that Rockstar will be going back to how they planned story DLC for GTA 5 before the success of GTA Online. “When GTA V released, development on SP DLC already started prior to release,” he explained, further noting how a port of Liberty City was canned. Tez2 went on to state that the “first wave” of new cities and missions are being planned out prior to GTA 6’s release, adding that Rockstar will allocate resources to whatever new title they work on after its launch. As for those new cities, Tez2 believes they will be in the form of islands and “instanced new cities” such as North Yankton from the prologue mission of GTA 5. “That way, Rockstar can introduce a new heist for the next GTA Online mode with each new DLC. If we are lucky, we could receive a fully-fledged new city from time to time,” he added. For the time being, take all of this with a grain of salt until Rockstar officially unveils their plans, but if this information is true, it could be very good news for fans of single-player content in Grand Theft Auto.

  • GTA 6 leaker reveals major Warzone 2-style upgrade for Vice City – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker reveals major Warzone 2-style upgrade for Vice City Rockstar GamesA Rockstar Games insider has revealed a major engine upgrade coming to GTA 6 that could be very similar to Warzone 2. GTA 6 is already one of the most hyped games of all time and players across the globe are anxiously awaiting official news from the game. With Rockstar remaining mum about the next installment in the GTA series, fans have been forced to rely heavily on leaks and this latest one from Aleix Venturas has them very excited. According to the insider, Rockstar San Diego has a team of around twenty engineers revamping water physics in GTA 6 that will blow everything else, for a lack of a better term, out of the water. Leak claims GTA will have advanced water physics and surfing In a thread on Twitter, Venturas explained how it would be correct to call the water in GTA 6 “ahead of its time” and it’s all because of how successful GTA Online has been. “Thanks to the colossal revenues that GTA Online has brought to Take-Two Interactive since 2013, the businessmen of the parent company of Rockstar Games have decided to invest in a new technology and integrate it into GTA 6,” he explained. The insider went on to share a visual representation of what the water would look like with “ultra” graphics and noted how it’s likely the aquatic environment will occupy an important place in the new game. Venturas further added that this new technology will allow for all new types of sports to be played such as surfboarding and other water-based activities. GTA 6 isn’t the first game to make a big deal about water. Warzone 2, for instance, features a ton of hidden underwater loot and some users even complained that swimming was overpowered. We’ll have to see if this leak ends up being true and if Rockstar can make swimming or surfing around Vice City a fun integral part of the upcoming game when it finally comes out.

  • GTA 6 leaker reportedly purchased YouTube admin panel access to view trailer early – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker reportedly purchased YouTube admin panel access to view trailer early Rockstar GamesNew information has surfaced about the GTA 6 trailer leak and how a nefarious user was able to gain access to YouTube’s admin panel. In December 2023, Rockstar Games was set to finally unveil the first official look at Grand Theft Auto 6 and had the internet waiting for what was set to be a monumental moment in gaming history. Unfortunately, the day before the trailer was set to debut, it emerged on social media, prompting Rockstar to pull an emergency 180 and publish the trailer ahead of time. In the time since, we’ve come to learn through Insider-Gaming’s Tom Henderson that YouTube began to investigate its employees following the leak. As it turns out, according to crypto scam detective ZachXBT, the leaker was able to see the trailer by purchasing YouTube admin panel access. “The GTA 6 trailer was leaked by a threat actor who goes by the alias Skenkir,” ZachXBT explained. “He purchased access to a YouTube admin panel which allowed him to view the unlisted video early.” He then shared screenshots from a WhatsApp convo from December 4 where Skenkir revealed he had access to the trailer and planned to put “BUY $BTC” as a watermark over it. In another attached screenshot, Skenkir showed the admin panel where they had been able to view the GTA VI trailer. This isn’t the first time this individual has caused problems either. ZachXBT further noted, “Skenkir also was involved in 40+ high profile SIM swaps since April 2023.” These new revelations, while not confirmed, may be yet another reason why Rockstar has yet to announce a second GTA 6 trailer just yet. It’s also possible that the company is still figuring out the best way to unveil new footage while lowering the possibility of leaks. GTA 6 has had quite a few things spoiled ahead of its debut, beginning with a massive hack that revealed early in-development gameplay. Rockstar has since taken measures to counteract leaks by having its devs return to office work which the company says will also help deliver a more “polished” experience ahead of the game’s fall 2025 launch window.

  • GTA 6 source gives new update on leaked Vice City map and activities – Dexerto

GTA 6 source gives new update on leaked Vice City map and activities YouTube: DubStepZz/RockstarGaming leaker Tom Henderson has poured cold water on the recent leaks claiming to reveal GTA 6’s new map and activities, saying we’re years away from that kind of thing. Rockstar Games haven’t even confirmed that they’re working on GTA 6, but it’s still the hottest talking point in gaming. Fans are desperate for the next installment of the iconic franchise, even though it seems as if it’s still years away. However, that’s not stopped fans or leakers from finding information about it, and at this point, all signs point towards a return to Vice City as well as the franchise’s first-ever female lead character. One of the most recent leaks claimed to reveal the updated Vice City map, as well as a number of activities that you’d be able to choose from in-game. Though, it’s up for debate as to whether it’s real or not. Some fans linked the new leak to some older claims about things like in-game radio stations and stores to believe that the map is, in fact, real. Others were dismissive right from the off, noting that there have been a host of map ‘leaks’ for GTA 6 and they’re all wildly different from each other. Well, now, gaming insider Tom ‘LongSensation’ Henderson has chimed in and given his verdict on the new map leak. “I wouldn’t expect any leaks like this for a couple of years,” the YouTuber said, much to the dismay of some fans. I wouldn’t expect any leaks like this for a couple of years. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) July 12, 2021 Henderson has been steadfast in claiming that the game won’t release for at least another 3-4 years, with a 2025 release point touted too. Some fans may hold on to the map leak and dismiss his opinion on it, and while he has been proven right on a few occasions before, we’ll just have to wait and see if he’s right on this one.

  • GTA 6 leaker excites fans with new Vice City ‘concept’ images – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker excites fans with new Vice City ‘concept’ images YouTube: DubStepZz/RockstarGaming leaker Tom Henderson dropped a ‘concept’ drawing for GTA 6 and Vice City, and it’s got fans excited. The wait for GTA 6 continues to be an arduous one for gamers across the globe as Rockstar Games remain silent about whether or not it’s actually in development. Insiders and supposed leakers have dropped tonnes of details about what they’ve heard, including a 2025 release date, an apparent return to Vice City, and even the franchise’s first female main character. Tom ‘LongSensation’ Henderson has been at the forefront of some of the biggest leaks, and he set the internet ablaze again with a few drawings of Vice City. The gaming insider’s July 4 stream drummed up plenty of interest as it became clear that he wasn’t just showing off his artistic skills, but also making a point about Vice City. His image had some staples of the Vice City skyline – including the iconic main tower that shines a blue light from the top. On top of that, he also had a female holding a weapon, a Vice City logo, and somebody else piloting a jetpack. Some fans quickly pointed out that the female could be in reference to the main character leak, with the jetpack just being a staple of the GTA franchise. Unlike his recent Battlefield drawings, which ended up being a leak for the game’s reveal trailer, Henderson was quick to point out that he wasn’t quite leaking anything here. “I love drawing concepts. Of concepts,” he tweeted shortly after before following it up without another post. Just to clear the air – The drawing is of existing assets on Google. They are not direct drawings of concept art… But a concept of a concept, using existing assets. 🙂 — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) July 5, 2021 Of course, that won’t stop GTA fans from digging into and taking the image as a possible leak for say a loading screen. Either way, the wait continues for GTA 6, with 2025 looking most likely for its release.

  • GTA 6 leaker could hack Rockstar again after being released from jail – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker could hack Rockstar again after being released from jail Rockstar GamesThe infamous GTA 6 leaker may not be done even after finishing his sentence for the criminal leaks that took place in 2022. Arion Kurtaj, 18, was a member of Lapsus$, a cyber-crime group who hacked Nvidia, Uber, Revolut, as well as blackmailing BT/EE for $4 million. This massive attack led to Kurtaj leaking some of the biggest information about GTA 6 at the time, including the Vice City location and its two protagonists. During a recent hearing, Kurtaj was mentioned to have pledged to return to his old ways after being released from his sentence. Kurtaj is looking to continue his criminal endeavors Kurtaj has been incarcerated since September 2022 after he attempted to blackmail Rockstar with releasing the source code for GTA 6. Kurtaj took part in a court hearing on December 8th regarding his sentence, in which Dr. Claudia Camden-Smith, a psychiatrist, relayed that Kurtaj had stated his desire to go back to committing his crimes after his release. He is now being placed on a 12-week hospital order after citing he is suffering from a mental illness. GTA 6 is, arguably, the hottest game title out there right now, with the game’s first teaser trailer releasing just last week. With the trailer reveal, much of the information that Kurtaj leaked appears to be true as well, including the two protagonists, Lucia and Jason. At the time of writing, the trailer has 141 million views on the official Rockstar YouTube channel and smashed MrBeast’s record as the most-watched non-music video in 24 hours. GTA 6 is slated for release in 2025, barring any setbacks or delays.

  • GTA 6 leaker claims we may see trailer sooner than expected – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker claims we may see trailer sooner than expected Rockstar GamesRockstar Games could be set to release their first-ever Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer in the near future, if apparently leaked information is to be believed. The game developers are typically secretive about handing out updates for upcoming games and that trend hasn’t ended for GTA 6, which is still yet to be confirmed despite multiple job openings hinting at the project being in development. Numerous people have claimed to have inside scoops on upcoming details for the unconfirmed game, though, with some claiming Vice City could return in the next installment, and others suggesting South America could be our next destination. While none of this was mentioned in a new leak, the developers appear to be preparing a promotional video for something and fans are getting their hopes up, as you would expect. Reddit user Lissenhereyadonkey hasn’t claimed to know anything about in-game details, as others have in recent months, although they have said that somebody close to them working in the music licensing industry has tipped them off about Rockstar’s latest dealings. They posted: “A person I trust that is involved in clearing the licensing for music used in movie, and sometimes video game trailers, informed me this afternoon that her company had to get a rap song cleared called Black Locks by the rapper Young Dolph for Rockstar Games. “Only the instrumental is being used as far as I know. From her understanding, companies only reach out to her for clearance less than a month before the release of the trailer to the public so I imagine we will finally get to see the new game.” The song in question, as seen below, was released in July 2019 and the Reddit user’s apparent source states that just the instrumental has been requested so far by the developers. Not many Reddit users questioned the credibility of the source after hearing the record, although they did suggest other things the music may be used for. One posted: “The song sounds like it would fit GTA Online more,” while another said: “Probably gonna be used for the F1 racing update trailer for GTA Online.” It’s unclear as to whether or not this will be the music used in any future Rockstar Games, never mind for GTA 6, but it does show that fans are doing everything they can to collect any clues they can find for future announcements. As of the time of writing, GTA Online has only released 0ne Formula 1 car via Lucky Wheel reward drops in the Diamond Casino. There is a possibility that the music here could be used for a future event trailer for GTA 5, although nothing has been confirmed on that front so far.

  • GTA 6 leaker claims to reveals characters and story details – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker claims to reveals characters and story details Rockstar GamesA GTA 6 leaker has claimed to reveal some fresh details on the game’s characters and stories, and it lines up somewhat with other previous leaks. After staying silent on GTA 6 for the longest time, Rockstar Games have finally confirmed that development is well underway on the next installment to the iconic sandbox franchise. While the developers have yet to reveal any details about the location, characters, or overall story, there have been plenty of claims made by supposed leakers and insiders. At this stage, it seems like GTA 6 will take players back to Vice City, where they will be involved in a pretty major crime war – possibly across multiple continents. One of the other big claims made about GTA 6 is that Rockstar will finally add a female main character to the mix, but it looks like there will be others as well. The new claim comes from Twitter user Matheusbr9895_, who has become a go-to source for main Grand Theft Auto fans as they’ve been dropping a few hints about GTA 6 and GTA Online changes. According to the supposed insider, Rockstar will apparently have siblings as the main characters for GTA 6. “The idea that Rockstar Games proposed was the story of 2 brothers – 1 male and 1 female – who separated after their parents were killed, in the Prologue in 2003,” they tweeted on April 2. Matheus also appeared to shut down the idea that the game will span several decades, but will rather be a more modern take on things like GTA 5. Though, he claims that we’ll have to wait until 2024 for more. — mvbr★ (@Mvbrr) April 2, 2022 While the Twitter user has been reliable before, it is still worth taking things with a pinch of salt at this point. Rockstar has yet to drop any concrete details about what they’re working on, only acknowledging the name GTA 6 a handful of times. So, it remains a game of wait and see.

  • GTA 6 leaker claims to reveal more songs from game’s soundtrack – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker claims to reveal more songs from game’s soundtrack Rockstar GamesFresh leaks about GTA 6 appear to have surfaced, with leakers managing to get their hands on what is supposedly part of the game’s soundtrack. While the story, characters, and setting are pretty important for any Grand Theft Auto game, so too is the soundtrack. Made up of original composers and radio hits, one quick bar of any recognizable GTA song will have you reminiscing within seconds. When it comes to GTA 6, details have been thin on the ground. All signs point to a return to Vice City, though it could be a more modernized version, rather than the fan-favorite 80s-themed setting. Naturally, some Grand Theft Auto fans are eager for Rockstar to add in classic tracks from the original Vice City game, as well as some modern hits from artists such as The Weeknd. Well, those prayers could be answered as French leaker Matheusvictorbr claims there are over 20 radio stations planned to come in GTA 6 – an increase on the options in GTA 5. On top of that, they were able to name four songs that are apparently going to be included. They are Odessa by Caribou, Domino Dancing from the Pet Shop Boys, Numb from Rhianna and Eminem, as well as Disparate Youth from Santigold. Given that the songs are pretty different from each other, they likely make up parts of separate radio stations than being together on one station’s playlist. https://twitter.com/NEWSLEAKSGTAS/status/1486451291257819142 Over the last few years, we have seen a few ‘leaks’ about the game’s soundtrack, so it may be a case of those all being pieced together to make up the complete setlist for GTA 6. Additionally, it’s widely believed that sorting out radio stations and signing licensing agreements for songs is way down the list of things to do before releasing a new GTA, so, we could finally see a reveal before long – just as some insiders believe.

  • GTA 6 leaker claims to reveal game’s soundtrack for radio stations – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker claims to reveal game’s soundtrack for radio stations Rockstar GamesA new Grand Theft Auto 6 claims to have knowledge of the songs that will play in the next iteration of the popular franchise, including artists like Childish Gambino, Eminem and Guns N’ Roses. While you may not realize it, music is an integral part of any game, and can be used to set the scene and give emotion to characters and moments that may not have connected as well without the perfect soundtrack. In Grand Theft Auto V, much of the soundtrack is provided by the in-game radio, which regularly plays hit songs and cult classic to give you the perfect sound as you cause chaos around Los Santos and the greater San Andreas area. A Reddit user named temperaturerising45, who released a number of claims regarding the location of the game and possible characters, has returned to the GTA6 subreddit. Now, they are claiming to have a list of artists and songs set to appear on the game, although they are only the tracks that they can remember. These would play on the various radio stations in the game, with each one focused on a specific genre of music, such as hip hop, rock, or pop. You can view the full list of songs that the leaker claims will be in the game below. Alleged Grand Theft Auto 6 songs With rumors suggesting that GTA 6 is set to remain in San Andreas county, it’s possible that some of the stations, like West Coast Classics and Los Santos Rock Radio, which made appearances in GTA V could make a return with this game. Rockstar even brought in a number of celebrities to act as hosts of the channels, with rock musician Kenny Loggins and actress Cara Delevingne lending their vocal talents to the game back in 2013. Of course, there’s no way to verify whether any of these tracks will appear in GTA 6, but the spread of genres does seem to fit what Rockstar tries to accomplish when choosing music for the franchise. With most analysts stating that we won’t see any kind of announcement this year, fans of the game will likely have to wait to find out who they’ll be listening to on their way to missions and heists.

  • GTA 6 leaker claims Rockstar is aiming for “photorealism” in highly anticipated sequel – Dexerto

GTA 6 leaker claims Rockstar is aiming for “photorealism” in highly anticipated sequel Rockstar GamesA prominent GTA 6 leaker has shared a claim from a supposed ex-Rockstar Games developer, implying that the studio is striving for “photorealism” in its ambitious open-world sequel. Since confirmation of GTA 6’s existence in February, Rockstar has been back to its typically quiet ways. Beyond an offhanded comment from publisher Take-Two during the latest earnings call, with claims the next entry is “determined to set creative benchmarks for the series, industry, and entertainment,” nothing much has been said on record about the project. However, that hasn’t stopped a wide range of leaks from surfacing online. Be it in-depth reports from industry insider Jason Schreier to more subtle details appearing in various job listings, fans have heard a great deal on what the next GTA might look like. Falling in line with the latter, a new claim from popular Rockstar leaker Tez2 has seemingly revealed the ambition of Rockstar in terms of visual fidelity in GTA 6. “An ex Rockstar dev mentioned to a friend that [GTA 6] will be very much into photorealism,” Tez2 shared in a recent post on the GTA forums. As for the veracity of this claim, there’s no telling. While this insider has leaked a wide range of intel in the past, it’s still worth taking any new statement with a grain of salt for the time being. Admittedly an “obvious” claim from the supposed developer, it nonetheless implies Rockstar is looking to raise the bar once again. Outside of a large-scale map, new gameplay features, and storyline with multiple playable characters, it appears devs are also eager to set a new standard in terms of graphics. This could point towards new and improved ray tracing capabilities, higher fidelity textures and assets throughout, and possibly new innovations too. While it remains unclear just when we might see GTA 6 in motion, this comment indicates it’ll be among the best-looking open-world games to date. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out in the months and potentially years ahead before it arrives.

  • GTA 6 “leaked” Vice City map size compared to GTA V’s Los Santos – Dexerto

GTA 6 “leaked” Vice City map size compared to GTA V’s Los Santos RockstarA leaked Vice City map, potentially the setting for Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, has been compared to Los Santos from GTA V to give fans an idea of size and scale. Grand Theft Auto 6, despite not yet being confirmed by Rockstar, is one of the most anticipated video games of all time. Leaks and rumors continue to circle around a sixth installment in the epic crime series. To that effect, fan excitement spiraled on May 10 when a ‘leaked’ map that looks inspired by Vice City resurfaced again. Originally appearing in 2018, the satellite-like image had doubt cast upon it due to its lack of detail. However, it has now reappeared with considerably more detail, leading to a resurgence in fan excitement again. The map looks fairly conventional at a glance, with a small island seemingly bordering the main landmass off the southeast coast. Fans have now taken their curiosity to the next level, comparing the ‘leaked’ map to GTA V’s Los Santos. In terms of size, there’s not much between the two but the map thought to be from GTA 6 is definitely slightly smaller. This will be disappointing to some fans if it does turn out to be the case but, given Rockstar’s impeccable track record, we can expect a highly realised world whatever size the map is. The comparisons, uploaded to Reddit by u/Blue_Grapefruit also provide size comparisons of certain POIs, like Airport and Military Base. Despite the comparisons, it’s worth remembering that the leaked map is not confirmed, and won’t be until Rockstar give us a first look at what they’re making – even then, the full map likely wouldn’t be revealed until the game is actually released. In short, don’t expect anything soon. There is precedence, though. Rockstar’s acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2 saw its map leaked well ahead of time, receiving a similarly skeptical response from the community. Whatever size the map is, Rockstar haven’t let us down yet.

  • Rockstar takes down massive GTA 6 leak allegedly sourced from dev’s son – Dexerto

Rockstar takes down massive GTA 6 leak allegedly sourced from dev’s son Rockstar GamesA supposed GTA 6 leak has come out displaying new areas of downtown Vice City, but many questioned its validity when it came out. However, new details have come to light surrounding the clip that has led many fans to believe the leaks are real. With GTA 6 being one of the most anticipated games of all time, it’s no surprise that several fake leaks have come and gone that have sparked a great deal of speculation amongst those waiting for the game’s release. And, while most of the leaks other than the massive one that showed 90+ minutes of gameplay footage have been proven to be fake, a new leak that came days before the first GTA 6 trailer’s launch may be real. Here’s everything we know about the most recent GTA 6 leak: GTA 6 leak goes viral on TikTok, but are the leaks real? The original leak is a slowed-down video of someone in a debug menu in what appears to be an early version of GTA 6. The footage showed off some new sights in the downtown area of Vice City, parts that weren’t shown in the first slew of viral leaks, though that video was taken down from TikTok. There’s a version that’s still up on Twitter at the time of writing, though that may be deleted as well seeing as Rockstar is in a hurry to take down any content related to the leaks. The video was also posted to the GTA 6 Reddit and promptly removed by moderators, though that didn’t stop fans of the series from discussing it. Though the consensus originally was that it had to be fake, people noticed more and more small details that would have taken a lot of effort to spoof. Additionally, a slide show was posted that alleges the son of Aaron Garbut, the head of development at Rockstar North, was directly involved in sourcing this content. This is only according to the account that posted the leaks, however. They claim to know Garbut’s son but that they aren’t him, saying that he’s “the coolest dude I met” in the comments on one of their TikToks. This user also created a slide show that displayed areas that weren’t present in GTA 5, as well as sports cars that are new to the series, though that’s also been taken down. Additionally, one fan linked some parts of the footage with faraway buildings in the original leaks, adding yet another layer of validity to this short video’s content. There have also been screenshots of a conversation with Aaron Garbut himself posted with him allegedly confirming that the leaks are real, with him also confirming that the game will have 3 major cities, four “sub cities”, and that all of them surround a “large lake in the middle of the map.” Footage of the posts is being rapidly deleted from the internet amidst the chaos, with many who originally thought it was fake now unsure after the sheer amount of proof posted by the azzarossi account. So, are the leaks real? At this time, there’s too much new content that’s been shown to deny that they’re real. Between the amount of ways that this footage has been linked to prior leaks and Rockstar moving quickly to take down content, there’s good reason to believe that these leaks are legitimate. Fortunately, the first trailer is just a few days away, so those who are waiting for GTA 6 news have the luxury of waiting just a few days to see the game as its developers intended.

  • GTA 6 leak reveals Wanted system overhaul and realistic police AI – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak reveals Wanted system overhaul and realistic police AI Rockstar GamesMajor changes to the GTA 6 Wanted system have been uncovered in gameplay leaks, including some huge improvements to the police AI. Last year, the world got its first glimpse of GTA 6 in a series of gameplay leaks that confirmed the series will return to Vice City, feature two protagonists, and a plethora of other improvements from GTA 5. While Rockstar has yet to even officially announce GTA VI or share any information, fans have compiled a list of everything seen in the footage to showcase just how massive this project is. For many, GTA’s Wanted system has been in need of some improvements and upgrades for quite some time, and the new Grand Theft Auto will be delivering in a big way as players discovered. GTA 6 is getting a huge Wanted system upgrade In one of the most iconic leaked footage clips, main characters Jason and Lucia rob a diner called Hank’s Waffle House. When analyzed, this video has a ton of info that showcases a bunch of new features in GTA 6. As the player goes around stealing money from the register and intimidating customers, there is a new “witness” mechanic that kicks in. Under the Wanted level, the words “Full Description” are shown, indicating the witnesses know exactly what you look like. “Once Lucia enters the police vehicle, you can see written: ‘No Vehicle Description,’ which quickly changes to: ‘Full Vehicle Description,’ which suggests that the police have a full description of your vehicle,” players noted. “The text prompt on the top-left side says: Any vehicle you are seen entering will be known by the Law.” Additionally, the footage revealed yet another mechanic where Jason can prevent customers with a yellow icon above their heads from calling the cops or running away. Plus, there is a new dispatch time for police, which provides some realism in that the authorities won’t show up the second a crime is committed. Speaking of police, they’re getting new AI, as well. “The police AI can be seen adjusting his stance depending on the height of the object in front of him, and lowering his position when he reloads his weapon, and he also keeps shooting Lucia while moving left and right. In other videos like the Hank’s Waffles robbery, the police AI is also seen raising their guns over higher objects like cars,” users discovered. With all these enhancements, GTA VI is shaping up to be one of the wildest games ever, but when can fans expect to play it for themselves? Although Rockstar hasn’t even officially unveiled GTA 6, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has hinted that it could release as early as 2024 while hyping up the company’s estimated fiscal 2025 results.

  • GTA 6 leak reveals Vice City theme park and potential radio stations – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak reveals Vice City theme park and potential radio stations Rockstar GamesAnother new GTA 6 leak has surfaced, claiming to show off the long-rumored theme park in Vice City as well as new radio stations as pieces continue to fall into place. The development of GTA 6 remains the biggest mystery in gaming today, with both Rockstar Games and their publishers, Take-Two, staying silent on it. Leakers and insiders have been hard at work trying to get some details about the next installment of the iconic franchise, with some claiming it’s still a few years away from release but it is being worked on. On top of that, everything seems to point towards a return to Vice City – or at least, an expanded version of the South Florida-themed location anyway – with a ‘leaked’ map surfacing in the past few weeks. While some leakers and fans have attempted to dismiss the leak, there are plenty of others who have been attempting to verify that it might be real – or just an incredibly detailed fake. Well, another clue has popped up surrounding the ‘Quincy World’ location that many assumed to be a theme park. This time, there is what appears to be an advertisement for Fred’s Fun World – a theme park with a normal of different lands inside of that. One of these is that leaked ‘Quincy World’ location, and there’s even comically named shops and attractions that would fit in with the GTA humor. Additionally, another leak from the same anonymous user also claimed to reveal a number of in-game radio stations – with the Vice City favorite Fever FM making a return. Some fans played this image off as a concept or more of a fake than the map, given that there are seemingly unlockable stations too. As ever, with anything GTA 6-related, it’s best to take things with a pinch of salt for now. While the ‘leaks’ all seem to stack up and make sense, they could all be part of an elaborate ruse to prank GTA fans or they’re just an incredibly detailed concept. We’ll have to wait and see.

  • GTA 6 leak reveals new player actions and return of popular RDR2 feature – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak reveals new player actions and return of popular RDR2 feature Rockstar GamesGTA 6 fans combing over every second of leaked footage have uncovered details about new player actions coming to the game’s single-player as well as its Online component. The notorious GTA 6 leak gave players their first glimpse of the upcoming installment in Rockstar’s beloved series and there are many secrets fans are still uncovering by sitting through the footage. A lot of the big new gameplay components have been discovered already, but a screen showcasing player actions has fans excited about what’s in store. Plus, for fans of Red Dead Redemption 2, it seems like Rockstar is taking a welcome feature from its wild west series and implementing it into GTA 6. Leaked GTA 6 player options reveals new features In a tweet, user ‘Staatskassen’ showed off a developer screen showing off a total of 15 player options. While some are series staples by now such as crouching, going into cover and performing melee attacks, there are some nice additions. For instance, the ability to go prone is something new to the GTA series. As is the ability to perform a melee grapple, something introduced in RDR2. GTA 6 Online and RDR2-like features discovered Speaking of Red Dead, it seems like GTA 6 will be introducing a cinematic mode option that will allow players to put their controller down and enjoy the scenery while traveling to a destination. The feature was very well received in Red Dead and with GTA 6’s map looking like it’ll be completely massive, fans may want to turn it on while needing to commute across Vice City for missions. There are also options to ping or communicate with a “buddy.” The game will feature at least two playable protagonists, so being able to interact with them certainly makes sense. To round things out, there seem to be some Online-exclusive actions including self-revives, killing one’s self while downed, and surrendering. Of course, anything can change from now until the game’s eventual release, but if this is anything to go by, GTA 6 will be building off a lot of what made Red Dead Redemption 2 such a masterpiece.

  • GTA 6 leak reveals major weapons change that copies Red Dead Redemption 2 – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak reveals major weapons change that copies Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar GamesA fresh GTA 6 leak has revealed some interesting details about how weapons will work, and it’ll be familiar to fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Alan Wake 2. When it comes to Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar Games haven’t confirmed anything other than the long-awaited game is in the works and what we’ve seen in previous leaks is from early development footage. Other than that, the other thing GTA fans have really had to go off are speculative rumors – some true and some just utterly incorrect. As we drive toward the end of 2023, however, some rumors have picked up pace. That’s likely because some insiders are expecting an announcement before the end of the year. Well, over the last few days, a new leak has started to heat up and create excitement in the community, and it’s related to a massive change in how weapons work. GTA 6 will massively change weapons system That’s right, weapons are undergoing a huge change in GTA 6 and you’ll no longer be able to run around with nine different weapons magically in your back pocket. As per some sources, including Rockstar Intel and Rockstar Universe, they’ve claimed that GTA 6 will have a system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2 and Alan Wake 2. You’ll be able to carry a few weapons on your person, but you’ll have to find other ways to store other guns. If you’re unfamiliar with RDR2, you had to use the saddlebags on your horse to transport more weapons in that game. So, in GTA 6, you’ll have to use car trunks and possibly backpacks. This will, at the very least, be how it works in the single-player story mode. Though, there’s no telling if that’ll translate over to the new GTA Online. Things could be a bit problematic on that side if some trolls forego smaller weapons like pistols in favor of just carrying mini-guns and rocket launchers. Though, we’ll just have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

  • GTA 6 leak resurfaces with fan-favorite activity that’s been missing for years – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak resurfaces with fan-favorite activity that’s been missing for years Rockstar GamesA supposed GTA 6 leak has resurfaced and got fans pretty excited as it claims the highly-anticipated game will bring back an old mini-game with a fresh twist. Back in December, Rockstar Games finally started answering some big questions about Grand Theft Auto 6 when they released the first trailer for the long-awaited title. The trailer confirmed some of the earlier leaks that we’ll explore the story of Lucia and Jason, not only in Vice City but in the wider state of Leonida, and it’ll be a much more modern setting than the last time we headed to the Miami-esque location. Despite promising further updates, Rockstar and their publishers, Take-Two, have gone pretty silent again. That silence has prompted some fans to go back and look at some older leaks and there is one that has got fans quite excited. GTA 6 rumored to have 3v3 basketball mode and fans are excited The leak in question comes from the mysterious and now-deleted Reddit account Well_Look_Whos_Back, which has been on the money with a number of leaks in the past. One of their claims, that GTA 6 will include a 3-versus-3 basketball mini-game, resurfaced in late February and quickly spread across social media. Plenty of longtime Grand Theft Auto players pointed to how they loved the basketball mini-game in San Andreas – as you could shoot hoops in Sweet’s yard – and how GTA 5 had plenty of nods to an unfinished mini-game of its own. “This boutta be better than any 2K ever made,” one fan tweeted, comparing it to the popular NBA 2K titles. “Let’s f*cking gooooo finally like bruh who tf wanted golf and tennis,” another added. “Hope they bring back bowling and other mini-games,” another commented. A basketball mini-game has been referenced in other supposed leaks too, but given that Well_Look_Whos_Back also mentioned it lends a bit more credence to it being real. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see what Rockstar cooks up when they finally start revealing details like that.

  • GTA 6 leak forces secret update for both GTA Online & Red Dead – Dexerto

GTA 6 leak forces secret update for both GTA Online & Red Dead Take-Two InteractiveRockstar denied rumors of delaying GTA 6 following a number of leaks and has since rolled out a secret update for GTA Online and Red Dead. On September 18, a massive GTA 6 leak revealed the game’s location and gameplay features in a series of early development build videos. Fans feared Rockstar would slow down development after what may be the most significant leak in video game history. However, the developers stepped forward and assured fans, “We do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.” Reliable Rockstar news source Tez2 shared a secret Rockstar security-related patch, and the implications. Secret GTA Online and Red Dead updates may force pushback and delays On September 19, it was reported that Rockstar rolled out a secret update updating the QA builds for all of its major titles. QA refers to quality assurance testing and is a common practice for video game developers dealing with bugs or game issues. In a deleted Tweet, Tez2 claimed the latest Rockstar update was “most definitely, security related. The ramifications of the network intrusion. This will no doubt result in pushbacks/delays.” One player asked if they could explain “why it will result in delays?” Tez2 replied, “Rockstar confirmed no delays or disruptions in the long-term. But this is obviously affecting in the short term.” Previously, Rockstar said, “Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed as ever to delivering an experience to you, our players, that truly exceeds your expectations.” Tez2 deleted their initial tweet about the update, so all information should be taken with a grain of salt until Rockstar provides an official statement.

  • GTA 6 will reportedly NOT be set in the 80s as leak claims – Dexerto

GTA 6 will reportedly NOT be set in the 80s as leak claims A recent GTA 6 leak surfaced detailing lots of information about the yet to be announced title. One noteworthy figure in the gaming industry has come out and outright said it’s fake, though. Renowned news editor at Kotaku, Jason Schreier, while linking the GTA leak in question said: “A good rule of thumb is that if a video game leak is a giant list of incredible-sounding bullet points, it’s fake.” Now, that’s a pretty damning assessment. The leak revealed supposed details including: Codename: PROJECT AMERICAS – Set in Vice City and a new fictional city based on Rio de Janeiro – Only one playable protagonist – male, not female – Set in the 1970s/80s – Storyline and character details – Weather being a heavy focus – Buildings and cars change through eras – suggesting the map may change based on the era – Next gen only – Another Rockstar title (Bully 2) to come out before GTA 6 – A good rule of thumb is that if a video game leak is a giant list of incredible-sounding bullet points, it’s fake https://t.co/lWHFRv9xZk pic.twitter.com/o9SZWcQPuJ — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) July 2, 2019 Is it or isn’t it fake? Whether the leak is incorrect remains to be seen but Schreier is absolutely correct when he calls the leak a giant list of incredible sounding bullet points. If the leak is true it has revealed the bulk of what GTA 6 will encapsulate. The leaker himself, “JackOLantern1982” responded to Schreier’s claims that the leak was fake, simply replying: “Yeah, no it isn’t.” Other comments suggested a supposed Linkedin profile was faked by JackOlantern1982. What’s extra interesting though, is that Schreier seems absolutely certain the leak is fake. The leaker claimed: “I have two friends who are very reliable and have worked for places such as Kotaku and PC Gamer.” This could be the reason Schreier is so sure the leak is fake but it would be possible for someone working at Kotaku to know something and not have shared it. His certainty almost makes it seem like he knows something about the game already, possibly through an inside source, therefore knowing that this particular leak is fake. Exciting time for Grand Theft Auto If this is the case it would add credence to another, earlier, GTA leak as Schreier didn’t denounce that one. That leak stated the game would be based across America with infamous GTA locations making up the cities. If true this could only result in Grand Theft Auto 6 being incredibly ground-breaking. There have been a lot of GTA leaks making the rounds in 2019 so it’s getting hard to keep track of what seems legitimate and what doesn’t. What we can be sure on though is that Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming and an announcement is a when not an if.
