Pokemon cosplayer makes waves as a real-life Nessa – pose and all – Dexerto
Pokemon cosplayer makes waves as a real-life Nessa – pose and all Instagram/leiracosplays/NintendoWith the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, the Water Gym Leader Nessa was almost instantly a fan-favorite and ripe for cosplay potential. Now, it would seem like a cosplayer has pushed that potential to the max with her take on the character. Leiracosplays has generated a sizable following with her Disney-themed outfits, but her Nessa uniform may be her best creation, yet. The complete outfit features everything from Nessa’s aqua-blue eyes, teal hair, crop top and special sandals. https://www.instagram.com/p/By7yFVEDb-J/ Everything from the gym leader’s single glove, waist chain and hoop earrings are included to complete the ensemble. “I managed to put this cosplay together from leftover fabric and Eva foam scraps,” Leiracosplays explained on Instagram. If that wasn’t already impressive enough, the highly flexible cosplayer even imitated the gym leader’s leg pose in a side-by-side video. https://www.instagram.com/p/BzMC6w4jILS/ When Nessa sends her Pokemon out, she does a highly exaggerated extension of her leg – something that Leiracosplays was able to copy and really bring the character to life. “Okay, I’m convinced, you are just straight-up Nessa in real life!” one of the comments read. In the games, Nessa is the second gym leader players face; however, they end up facing her again in the Champion Cup near the end of their journey. https://www.instagram.com/p/BzV3TmPj3v8/ In addition to Nessa, Leiracosplays has also dressed as Mary Jane from Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Gamora, Tifa from Final Fantasy VII and Demon Slayer’s Nezuko. Meanwhile, on the Pokemon front, she’s also cosplayed as Bea and Pikachu. With six more gym leaders in Sword and Shield ripe for cosplaying, it’ll be interesting to see if she chooses to make an outfit for them, as well. If so, we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.

Cosplayer Willow Creative previously impressed Pokemon fans with their epic Mewtwo outfit, so when Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were announced, they knew they needed to pull something amazing out of the bag to celebrate its launch. In a video shared to Reddit – which has almost 50k upvotes! – Willow can be seen posing in a full-body Garchomp suit, and it’s blown fans away. Willow told Dexerto that the Garchomp costume took nine days to make – at one point they ran out of blue fleece fabric as it required more than they expected – and it was completed just after Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were released. “The costume is made with upholstery foam and I used the application Pepakura, which is used to make 3D paper figures, to create a real-life scale pattern to fit me,” they explained when talking about the creative process. “The upholstery foam pieces were glued to a bodysuit, and then fleece was sewn over it as a skin, mostly by hand,” Willow continued. “I’ve put zippers in the wrists, feet, and back to easily get into the costume, and velcro was used to be able to remove the fins.” Willow said the costume does get “quite warm” when wearing it, but added: “It is very easy to take off and put on by myself, so taking a break is not a problem.” Read More: Pokemon cosplayer becomes perfect Dawn – This is the fifth Pokemon costume that Willow has created, joining their existing Pokemon team of Mewtwo, Lucario, Zeraora, and Blaziken, so they’ll be ready to take on the Elite Four in no time. To represent this, Marissa cleverly wore a black tutu which feathers out across her legs. View this post on Instagram While there is not a lot known about its origins, tales suggest that anyone who stares at the ‘mon’s true form under its cloth sack will come down with a sickness or even die. Despite its dark background, fans of the RPG have come to sympathize with its loneliness. Marissaemma brings a perfect twist to the monster which many have come to love. The Pokemon franchise entered its eighth generation three years after the release of Sun & Moon. Persona 5 Royal cosplayer leads the Phantom Thieves as Kasumi Yoshizawa ATLUS / Instagram: @erinaldacosplay, @artsyriceball, @cutie_chan3A skilled cosplayer has transformed into Persona 5 Royal’s Kasumi Yoshizawa, bringing the loveable heroine to life with incredible accuracy. It is so good, in fact, that it will be sure to Take Your Heart! Kasumi is the newest addition to the Persona 5 series in Royal – a reimagining of the 2015 game which gives players a more streamlined experience by adding in content such as Confidants, Personas, and a whole semester of gameplay. The Shujin Academy first-year student is a talented gymnast who aids the protagonist with battle training, before discovering her true self and joining the Phantom Thieves. Gifted cosplayer Erin Alda shared her take on the red-headed heroine, and wowed fans with how accurate her rendition is, bringing her to life in such a way that it appears as though she’s jumped right out of the TV screen itself and into reality. Amazing Persona 5 Royal Kasumi cosplay In the game, the protagonist attends Shujin Academy with Kasumi, though she is in first-year. They quickly bond over the fact they’re both transfer students who joined around the same time, and both have rumors spread about them that aren’t true. Probably her most defining feature is her striking red hair that sets her apart from the many others at the school who have natural hair colors such as black and brown. Erin nails this straight away in her take, perfecting the character’s signature high ponytail and bangs, pulled together seamlessly with a matching red ribbon. She also replicates the student’s school uniform flawlessly, adding in her white high-collared shirt, black bow tie, and black blazer with the emblem and red buttons embellished across the chest. https://www.instagram.com/p/B684MJHnY-t/ In another shot, the cosplayer shows off Kasumi’s Phantom Thief side by showing her in her epic battle uniform, which consists of a black bodysuit with knee-high boots, a leather overcoat with flared sleeves and gold buttons, and a pair of red gloves. She even nailed her eye mask, getting all the intricate details down. The character wears the mask while in Palaces to conceal her identity and to summon her Persona, Cendrillon, who is based off of the French adaptation of Cinderella. Topping it all off, Erin strikes a menacing pose with the character’s silver sword, which really captures the fierce spirit of the 15-year-old fighter. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8rLDLin0SI/ Persona 5 Royal released on March 31 in the West to rave reviews from critics, scoring a whopping 95 on Metacritic to become one of the highest-rated games in the series. Perfect Star Wars Mandalorian cosplay shows us the way – Dexerto
Perfect Star Wars Mandalorian cosplay shows us the way Disney/Mads AmmunitionA new Star Wars cosplay brings the main character from the hit series ‘The Mandalorian’ into the real world with astonishing detail. Disney’s Star Wars spinoff series ‘The Mandalorian’ was almost an instant hit when it came out in November 2019, and it didn’t take long at all for fans to start cosplaying their favorite characters. We’ve seen plenty of fire outfits inspired by the show so far, but few have been as detailed as the costume from French cosplayer ‘Mads Ammunition.’ I think I am stuck in the space yeehaw genre pic.twitter.com/LOaiKSJkdG — Mads Ammunition (@Mads_five) May 26, 2020 Of course, the cosplayer needed to nail down Mando’s sleek Beskar Steel armor, which we’d say they accomplished with flying colors. However, that was just the first piece of the puzzle for this piece, and with the rest of the outfit and even the main character’s trademark Amban rifle in place, it manages to look even better. Mads said the rifle was a custom design from prop designer and fellow cosplayer ‘Kamui Cosplay,’ and it truly seems to match the design of the weapon used in the show to a T. In the series, Mando is a contract killer with a cool head, but a good heart hidden underneath his emotionless visor. Even without the helmet, Mads still manages to radiate the same kind of swagger we know and love from the main character. There’s one thing that’s noticeably absent from this cosplay, and that’s Baby Yoda. However, even with the absence of Mando’s lovable sidekick, this look still knocks it out of the park. The Mandalorian was a smash hit almost as soon as it came out, and was quickly renewed for a second season on Disney Plus, much to the delight of fans. With even more episodes of the series on the way, hopefully that also means more amazing Mandalorian cosplays and more takes on the series from Mads herself.

Path of Exile streamer pulls off hilarious cosplay for Ultimatum League – Dexerto
Path of Exile streamer pulls off hilarious cosplay for Ultimatum League Mathil/PoEAustralian streamer Kostya ‘Mathil’ Khudoshin kicked off Path of Exile’s new Ultimatum League with a simply stunning (and…painful?) cosplay of one of the game’s toughest bosses: Atziri, Queen of the Vaal. Mathil is known for his extravagant cosplays to celebrate the start of each new PoE League, and, for Ultimatum, the streamer went all out as the red-skinned Atziri. One of the toughest bosses in the game, Atziri also presents an interesting challenge to cosplay, especially when you’re on your own it seems. With a heavy sigh and an attitude that screams “why in god’s name am I doing this?” Mathil revealed his new look, complete with semi-functional cardboard arms and a glowstick pitchfork. “Bow to your queen, mortal!” The streamer proclaimed half-heartedly while also doing his best undead queen pose. “The arms won’t stick, I don’t know man. That’s the attempted Atziri.” Mathil going all out as Atziri is already pretty funny, but when he turns to reveal the back half of his body was left completely unpainted, either because he couldn’t reach or just didn’t care at that point, it goes from a good laugh to full-on hilarious. You might be wondering how he attached the gold chains to his chest, and towards the end of his stream he showed us (in a very painful-looking demonstration): it was glue and some tape. “Jesus Christ, the glue, it ripped all the f***ing hair, ah I didn’t expect that.” He yelled after tearing the gold chain off, before revealing the lower set were held on with some strategically painted tape. Mathil will no doubt be grinding out the new Path of Exile season following his cosplay, but, as for what costume he’ll be donning next, that remains to be seen. He cosplays quite a bit on stream, thought not always to the extent of this Atziri masterpiece. Still, as we mentioned, he’s known for his over-the-top cosplays at the start of every new PoE League, and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

Overwatch’s McCree, Reinhardt, and Bastion make the perfect cosplay team – Dexerto
Overwatch’s McCree, Reinhardt, and Bastion make the perfect cosplay team nipahcos Instagram / BlizzardThe Overwatch community don’t take cosplaying lightly, making this triple-costume set up with McCree, Reinhardt and Bastion an impressive comp. The designs that come out of the Blizzard fan base can go from simple takes on popular skins to intensely complicated creations that breathe life into the characters they’re based on. Twitter user ‘NipahDUBS’ debuted his McCree suit at the Anime North Texas convention and met up with two designers from the cos-creating team Frostbite Cosplay. What resulted was a hero lineup that looked like it was ripped straight from a post-match screen from the game, seeing as two of the cosplayers were donning a Dallas Fuel-inspired colorway to rep the local OWL brand. As for NipahDUBS, he went with McCree’s original design, but it doesn’t look like he cut corners in creating the bounty hunter’s old Western-inspired suit. While a general McCree outfit looks simple enough from the surface, there’s actually a lot of finer materials to consider when making the details of his entire kit. From the tubing that goes into the main chest plate to the Flashbangs he carries with him, making a good McCree cosplay takes a ton of skill. It looks like the cosplayer went above and beyond for his craft, since he included a bullet-lined 10-gallon hat, along with the character’s bionic arm and futuristic Revolver. Similar to NipahDUBS, the duo of Bastion and Reinhardt spared no expense to create the frontline of the cosplay. Flanking McCree are two larger-than-life costumes, one with a menacing submachine gun attached to its arm and the other brandishing a lion-faced wrist guard from which Rein activates his Barrier Field. The veterans at Frostbite Cosplay had their work cut out for them, since both heroes have imposing features that must have been difficult to pull off on a suit that someone actually wears. Reinhardt comes packaged with his head-to-toe Crusader armor and crowned helmet, while Bastion has a mechanized body and mounted Gatling gun. But across the board, this is an exceptional trio of cosplays showcasing a plethora of skill and love for the game to depict the Overwatch heroes they took inspiration from.

Overwatch cosplayer hooks in new fans with genderbent Roadhog outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer hooks in new fans with genderbent Roadhog outfit Blizzard / Reddit: ValentinaKrypValentina Kryp has impressed Overwatch players with her fantastic cosplays for a while now, but this time, she hooked in new fans with her take on the menacing off-tank, Roadhog. Overwatch has one of the best hero rosters in any game. They all have distinct looks, abilities, and larger-than-life personalities, especially Roadhog, the oversized off-tank, who is described as “a ruthless killer with a well-earned reputation for cruelty and wanton destruction.” His solid build allows him to withstand lots of damage and recover his health with a swig of his brew. However, he’s best known for pulling enemies forward with his signature move, Chain Hook, before mowing them down with blasts from his Scrap Gun. Given the complexity of his appearance and size, it’s not often you see cosplayers attempt to bring him to life. But as always, Valentina Kryp was up for the challenge, and she delivered in spades. She re-created his outfit, complete with the gas mask, upper armor, camo pants, combat boots, and gloves, which look ace. It looks even better alongside realistic versions of his Scrap Gun and trusty Chain Hook. Of course, she didn’t forget to tie it all together with subtle touches, like dyeing her hair silver and inking up her belly with his trademark tattoo. The small things that separate the wolves from the sheep and Valentina’s cosplays are always on point. We’ve already seen Valentina dazzle fans as Widowmaker. However, her Roadhog cosplay was equally impressive. Some fans joked that the only thing missing is all the excess weight, but they didn’t hold it against her.

Overwatch pet blows up Halloween with adorable “Junkcat” cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch pet blows up Halloween with adorable “Junkcat” cosplay Blizzard EntertainmentOne Overwatch fan has actually transformed their cat into “Junkcat” for Halloween, and it’s definitely one of the top costumes based on the game we’ve seen shared this year. Along with new skins for Halloween Terror, another thing Overwatch players can look forward to every time spooky season rolls around is all of the amazing costumes fans come up with and share. These apparently aren’t just limited to human fans either, as one of the best costumes we saw this year was what one player subjected their cat to by turning it into the perfectly-named “Junkcat.” Let’s just come right out and say it: this cosplay absolutely kills it. If the blonde wig and eyebrows don’t make you smile, then the little game-accurate prosthetic paw is sure to. The fiery feline is also equipped with some explosive bandoliers, and Junkrat’s grenade launcher is also strapped on as well. They even included a RIP-Tire and a trap, so all birds, squirrels, and other small mammals around the yard should definitely stay alert. Junkcat does not seem amused by this at all though judging from the picture, and it’s amazing that its humans managed to keep it still long enough to get a good shot before it turned that launcher into an actual weapon. There have been a few pet Overwatch cosplays before, but most of the ones before have been of the canine variety, so it’s nice to see mans other furry friend getting some time in the spotlight as well. As far as in-game festivities go, Overwatch’s Halloween Terror event is still going on until November 3, 2020. That means you still have a few days to earn all the loot boxes you can and unlock the Ragdoll Echo skin that won’t be available ever again once things wrap up. Brigitte may have the monopoly on cat-related in-game content, for now, but Junkcat is so good it definitely tops our list for the best Overwatch Halloween costumes of 2020.

Overwatch model takes aim with brilliant young Ana cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch model takes aim with brilliant young Ana cosplay Instagram/deelazee/Blizzard EntertainmentOverwatch’s Ana has one of the best skins in the game in the form of Captain Amari. Cosplayer “Lazee” tried her luck at mimicking the costume, and the result is an outfit that looks like it’s ripped right from the popular team shooter. Taking to Reddit, Lazee was eager to show off her creation with Overwatch’s cosplay community. “I’m an infrequent OW player, but I am always looking for characters than inspire me to cosplay,” the model said in her post. “Ana has always been such a unique woman so I finally made her!” she exclaimed, and revealed her own version of Captain Amari. Captain Amari, finally complete! This cos was a labor of love due to it being a commission piece as well as a learning curve. Many issues with paint in this one. But I am proud of it and the photos!! pic.twitter.com/bdlvEmTLdi — delan (@motherDelan) January 31, 2020 Lazee went to great lengths to ensure she nailed even the tiniest of details with the hero while still adding her own unique flair. For instance, the eagle on her beret is much larger than it is in the game. Additionally, while Ana’s arms are covered, the cosplayer opted for a short-sleeved look. The gun that the cosplayer uses is a bit more heavy-duty than the healing-based sniper rifle Ana totes in the game. As model pointed out on Instagram, it’s “not an accurate gun,” but there’s not doubt it could still dole out some damage! https://www.instagram.com/p/B8DHrdXjpmM/ In Overwatch lore, Ana was one of the world’s deadliest snipers and the mother of future hero Pharah. When Ana was in her 50s, she engaged in a sniper duel with Widowmaker, in which the Talon operative was able to land a direct shot and completely destroy her cybernetic eye. This explains why Ana wears an eyepatch in her modern skins. Speaking of Widowmaker, Lazee may be trying her luck at cosplaying the femme fatale next. “In the future, I’d like to try to make a Widow and maybe a fem Reaper,” she stated on Reddit. Given how impressive her young Ana getup was, we can’t wait to see what she has in store for with the next Overwatch hero she tries her hand at. That said, Lazee has also tackled characters such as Black Canary, Jinx from League of Legends, Zero Suit Samus and more. The sky is limit for this cosplayer!

Overwatch model reaches for the sky with dynamite Ashe cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch model reaches for the sky with dynamite Ashe cosplay An Overwatch cosplayer turned a few heads with her phenomenally-crafted costume based on the Deadlock Gang’s Ashe. Ukranian model ‘le_blaaanc_cosplay’ pulled out all the stops and spent four months designing a costume for her take on the mid-range sniper hero. In a post on Reddit, Le Blanc revealed that she crafted the entire costume by herself and it looks absolutely exquisite. As a design base, the model decided to opt for Ashe’s traditional standard skin and work from there. Everything from the armored arm, hat and gun looks exactly as they should. Speaking of the hat, according to Le Blanc, she had to redo the hat at least three times until she was satisfied with it. “I used a default cowboy hat from Aliexpress and cut the edges and glued EVA foam edges and covered all with paint,” she wrote. “And the symbol I made from EVA foam with dremel, it took 4 hours and a lot of failed tries,” she added. For the weapon and armor, Le Blanc explained she used EVA foam and then used it to cover PVC pipes and polystyrene to create the rifle. The only thing the getup was missing seemed to be her very own giant robot BOB. In the game, Ashe’s ultimate, BOB, summons her giant robotic butler onto the field and he effectively serves as a seventh hero for its duration. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4khgsCj-DG/ According to the Ukrainian, imitating Ashe’s line of “BOB, do something” was a part of her show. This isn’t the model’s first Overwatch cosplay either. Le Blanc previously cosplayed as Widowmaker, but specifically as the character’s special Sarah Kerrigan Terran skin. The skin itself was cool for combining Overwatch and StarCraft, making the cosplay extra appealing at conventions as it celebrated both Blizzard fandoms in one. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5DqS0AAtMe/ With so much talent and experience, it will be fun to see what new exciting outfits the cosplayer will think of next. Plus, with Overwatch 2 in development, there shouldn’t be any shortage of new skins for the model to explore in the future.

Overwatch model goes ghost with epic Widowmaker Kerrigan cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch model goes ghost with epic Widowmaker Kerrigan cosplay Since its release in 2016, Overwatch has become a prime attraction for cosplayers with its assortment of characters and Widowmaker’s Sarah Kerrigan skin has proven to be a prime example. Ukrainian cosplay model le_blaaanc_cosplay took inspiration from the limited-time Sarah Kerrigan Widowmaker skin which debuted back in 2018 as part of StarCraft’s 20th birthday. Everything from Sarah’s iconic goggles, armor and gun are all recreated beautifully and best of all, just like the skin, it’s a great combination of two Blizzard fandoms. While Widowmaker has always been a popular hero to dress up as, the Kerrigan skin removes the need for purple skin. With Overwatch 2 announced at Blizzcon, it will be interesting to see how Widowmaker’s story develops and if she can be turned good again just as Kerrigan did.

Overwatch model becomes death incarnate with shadowy Reaper cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch model becomes death incarnate with shadowy Reaper cosplay Well-established Overwatch model Le Blanc Cosplay conjured up in impressive take on the character Reaper with her own female flare. Le Blanc’s twist on the Talon antagonist involves a full gender swap, with the outfit clearly showing off the female take. Instead of being cloaked and hooded, this cosplay has switched things up with the Ukranian model opting to flaunt her white hair. Additionally, she decided to feminize the hero’s dark attire with a skirt and top as opposed to the black trench coat style the character is known for. The whole thing is well done though, and there’s no denying who Le Blanc is cosplaying as. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxNMePaHoWo/ The rest of the cosplay is very Reaper-esque with the dual shotguns, shotgun shells attached to a belt on the torso, knee-high boots, claw-like gloves and enough black to even make Batman blush. Overall, the whole outfit is incredibly well-crafted and really makes you wish there was a female Reaper in the game or that this could be added as a skin. Le Blanc also took some photos wearing a skull mask for a different approach to the white hair and perhaps to be more in-line with the character. It adds a little bit more variety to what really is an extraordinary take to one of the first Overwatch heroes the world laid eyes on. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxF5HmZnfnJ/ In the game’s lore, Reaper was a former Overwatch agent known as Gabriel Reyes. Experiments conducted on him granted Reyes supernatural abilities such as his wraith form and shadow step. Eventually, he would go on to join the terrorist group Talon and take on the name Reaper. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxcHLXKiVPI/ In addition to Reaper, Le Blanc has cosplayed as a bunch of Overwatch characters including Widowmaker and Ashe. From other franchises, she’s taken the role of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from Batman. With so much talent, it will be fun to see which character she decides to model as next, especially with Overwatch 2 in development, there should be no shortage of options for the cosplayer to explore and craft something unique.

Overwatch Mercy cosplay stuns with amazing 3D-printed wings – Dexerto
Overwatch Mercy cosplay stuns with amazing 3D-printed wings Activision BlizzardCosplay prop store Designedby3d recently shared a photo of its mind-boggling efforts on an Overwatch Mercy build, which includes painted and 3D-printed wings. Overwatch remains a go-to property for inspiration in the cosplay community. And Mercy regularly receives her due thanks to talented fans around the world. One person, Carnivorous_sheep, channeled Mercy’s Halloween Terror Witch skin for the Ohayocon anime convention in 2022. Meanwhile, cosplayers Shappi Workshop and mikomihokina teamed up last year for a Mercy and Ashe photoset. The Mercy outfit, specifically, brought to life the Support hero’s Winged Victory outfit. Overwatch Mercy cosplay design goes back to basics Prop store Designedby3d uploaded an image of its 3D-printed Mercy wings to the Overwatch subreddit. Instead of borrowing the design from a post-launch skin, the designers recreated Mercy’s classic look. The wings serve as the highlight of the photo, having been created using “3D-printed parts and EVA foam.” And, as you can see in the post below, the paint job deserves a round of applause as well. Thus far, the Reddit post has garnered more than 2,000 upvotes in just a matter of hours. Replies suggest many Overwatch fans are nothing short of impressed by the build, too. “That’s cool as hell! Nice work,” one person wrote. Others were also quick to sing the designer’s praises on the paint job. This Mercy-centric cosplay content has begun making the rounds just as a host of changes impact the character in-game. Overwatch 2’s upcoming Season 3 release will introduce Mercy players to a new passive ability, for example. The Support character’s old passive ability, Regeneration, will be shelved as a result.

Overwatch Hanzo cosplay unleashes the dragon with feminine twist – Dexerto
Overwatch Hanzo cosplay unleashes the dragon with feminine twist Blizzard / teemofeeder, InstagramOne of the most impressive Hanzo cosplays has been revealed by a member of the Overwatch community, blurring the lines between genders with an unbelievable outfit. When it released back in 2016, Blizzard Entertainment might never have expected the type of fanfare each of its heroes would receive in its popular multiplayer game, with players far and wide creating constant material such as fan art, as well as some seriously impressive cosplays for their favorite figures from the Overwatch world. Now, a new take on the title’s mercenary archer – Hanzo – has been revealed by cosplayer teemofeeder on Instagram, which has since been upvoted countless times on Reddit as well, with fans tipping their hats to her impressive work. Countless Overwatch cosplays have gone viral in the past, including one based on Ultraviolet Tracer, and there’s also been genderbent Hanzo costumes emerge in the past also. However, this one might be the best yet. Bringing together a multitude of different elements for a fresh take on the costume, teemofeeder recreated the bow perfectly, not to mention the gold touches to the design that must have been pretty hard to put together, and of course the bottle of Sake as well – hanging from the belt. On Instagram, she revealed that the cosplay was created for Katsucon, an annual three-day anime convention based in the National Harbor, Maryland, which took place back in February. Clearly, a lot of time was spent creating this cosplay, leaving many users on both Reddit and Instagram really impressed. One user replied to the posy: “Never seen a female cosplay of Hanzo before, great job!!” Hanzo is a damage hero in Overwatch, which many regular players will know already, and there’s also been another damage hero added to the game recently – Echo. Whether or not we’ll get a flood of Echo cosplays coming to light next remains to be seen, but after seeing how this post has taken off, it would be no surprise to see teemofeeder try her luck sometime soon.

Overwatch fan celebrates Winter Wonderland with stunning Pajama Mei cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch fan celebrates Winter Wonderland with stunning Pajama Mei cosplay Activision Blizzard / emnardorkOne Overwatch fan has taken to celebrating the holidays a bit differently, showcasing a stunning Pajama Mei cosplay just in time for OW’s Winter Wonderland event. Overwatch’s seasonal Winter event, Winter Wonderland, is in full swing, featuring new game modes, skins, and more. Many celebrate this event by hopping in-game and participating in the Winter fun there, while others have found it more their speed to promote the game in real life. One cosplayer has done just that, bringing Mei’s Pajama skin to life with an amazing cosplay, perfect for the holiday season. Pajama Mei cosplay is the perfect holiday gift Mei’s Pajama skin came out in 2020 as a part of the Summer Games celebration, but it looks like it belongs by a fire, keeping the Arctic hero warm during the holiday months. Just in time for this year’s Winter Wonderland, one cosplayer decided to give the PJ’s skin a whirl, getting the look exactly right. The cosplay features Mei’s 2020 Summer Games sweater, her classic hairpiece, and a perfect replica of the freezing blaster the hero employs. All in all, the look is amazing and a perfect gift for the holiday season and Reddit agrees. The post earned over 3,000 upvotes since its release as fans lauded the cosplay. The cosplayer goes by emnardork on Instagram, having done several My Hero Academia plays alongside this Mei outfit, including Nejire Hadou and Ochaco Ururaka. While this is one of her only Overwatch-related cosplays, it still stands tall as a great one amongst the rest. You can keep up with her cosplays more on her Instagram, as well as by following her on Reddit. Overwatch dev blown away by incredible Zenyatta cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch dev blown away by incredible Zenyatta cosplay Instagram/ofl0ra/Blizzard EntertainmentAn Overwatch cosplayer has unveiled an impressively designed outfit for the Omnic monk hero, Zenyatta – a character rarely seen in cosplay circles. Zenyatta as a character is a unique specimen as he floats in the air while providing utility for his team through Harmony and Discord orbs, which heal allies and make enemies take 30 percent more damage. Due to the character’s robotic design, not many have cosplayed as the hero, but that didn’t stop Twitter user ‘Effekted’ from giving it his all and showing it off with the fandom. In a post on November 6, Effekted tweeted to the official Overwatch account writing, “Hey Overwatch, we are doing some cleaning and are looking for a more permanent home for our robot son.” Hey @PlayOverwatch @Blizzard_Ent , we are doing some cleaning and are looking for a more permanent home for our robot son. @ofl0ra and I were wondering if you would like him? pic.twitter.com/iZjHSCEDdQ — Effekted (@effekted_) November 6, 2020 Attached was a photo of the Zenyatta costume on display, equipped with an Orb of Destruction in his hands. The cosplayer went on to ask if the Overwatch team would want to take it off their hands. There’s a twist too – he’s making some adjustments that will make the outfit a prop of sorts for anyone who wants it. “He needs a special rig to be worn, but I’m fixing him up to sit on his own,” Effekted remarked. He needs a special rig to be worn, but I’m fixing him up to sit on his own pic.twitter.com/ju7n7mKgfN — Effekted (@effekted_) November 6, 2020 In the attached photos, you can really see how the incredible cosplay came to life. The attire Zenyatta wears with the mustard yellow pants are nicely crafted and match up perfectly with the in-game version. Around his neck, the designers made sure to include all of the Orbs of Destruction too and the end result looks ripped directly from the Overwatch universe. Overwatch Community Development Leader Molly Fender even replied to the post writing, “this is so cool” and included the eyes emoji. Thank you!! It was such a blast to make/wear him! He just needs a better home 🥺— Flora Rune (@florarune_) November 6, 2020 To this, ofl0ra, who helped craft the cosplay responded, “Thank you!! It was such a blast to make/wear him!” “He just needs a better home,” she added. It’s unclear whether the Overwatch devs will accept the gift for their offices, but such an amazing cosplay should never be left collecting dust. Hopefully, they get their wish and someone adopts the Omnic monk.

Overwatch couple’s cosplay proves Ashe and BOB are real partners in crime – Dexerto
Overwatch couple’s cosplay proves Ashe and BOB are real partners in crime Activision BlizzardA couple spent years designing Overwatch cosplay costumes revolving around fan-favorite characters Ashe and BOB. After spending some time in PTR, Ashe took the Overwatch world by storm upon joining the lineup of playable heroes in November 2018. This gang-leading gunslinger didn’t enter the fray alone, either. Notably, Ashe can summon a robot companion, BOB, whose hulking frame allows him to dominate on the map. While Ashe-inspired cosplay often makes the rounds, joint BOB and Ashe costumes are a rarity. Fortunately, one talented and dedicated couple found a way to make it work. Ashe and BOB are partners in crime in Overwatch cosplay Cosplayers Angela and Wayne’s Workshop have shared photos of their couple’s cosplay, which casts the pair as Ashe and BOB, respectively. According to a Reddit post from Angela, who posts under the username mokomokojojo1, Wayne worked on the BOB getup on and off for about two years. The detail on both costumes clearly demonstrates the amount of time and dedication that went into each build. Other photos of the two on Angela’s Instagram page even show the duo ready to jump into action at a moment’s notice. As many in the subreddit pointed out, these Ashe and BOB costumes look as though they came from official promotional materials. Such impressive work didn’t come without a fair few sacrifices, however. According to another Reddit post from mokomokojojo1, the BOB suit is hot and heavy, so much so that wearing it for longer than an hour is out of the question. Hopefully, the couple continues to receive recognition for their astounding efforts.

Overwatch cosplayer’s Plague Doctor Mercy outfit would make a perfect skin – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer’s Plague Doctor Mercy outfit would make a perfect skin Blizzard/AmazonAn Overwatch cosplayer has crafted a totally unique take Mercy, transforming the support hero into a plague doctor and the result is fantastic. The hero Mercy is one of the most popular in all of Overwatch. Thanks to her high amounts of healing, damage boosting and powerful Resurrection ability, she can easily carry games. However, most of the character’s skins tend to keep her theme quite light, maintaining the theme of her being a guardian angel. That all changes, however, thanks to a great new approach to the hero by Katerpiller Kosplay. The image of a Plague doctor is pretty iconic. With the bird-like mask and dark cloak, the image conjures up more feelings of dread than hospitality. However, in recent years, thanks to the advent of goth culture, the plague doctor look has become a bit more mainstream. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKwe6Z8jhrq/ As such, Katerpiller Kosplay decided to try her luck at transforming Mercy into the 17th century physician. Dressed in black with the mask equipped, the cosplay completely flips the script on what is normally a kind-hearted hero. Taking to Instagram, the cosplayer wrote, “Cosplay has honestly been my way of keeping any hope through these dark times. Thank you all for keeping me going.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CKo11KTDC4v/ With everything going on in the world, it’s nice to see that the activity has had its benefits for the cosplayer. “That’s why I created Plague Doctor Mercy to give people hope during this time,” she added. It would definitely be nice to see Blizzard turn this skin idea into a reality. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely with such short notice. The Chinese New Year event is scheduled for February 4, but there’s always a chance something could happen in time for the Overwatch Anniversary or Halloween events later on in the year. Mercy isn’t the first Overwatch cosplay she’s pulled off either. In the past, she’s dressed as Mei, Junkrat and even McCree. We can’t wait to see what other original ideas she can cook up in the future.

Overwatch cosplayers embrace inner mad scientist as Sigma and Moira – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayers embrace inner mad scientist as Sigma and Moira Activision-Blizzard / Axel NovaOverwatch characters all have their quirks and differences, but Sigma and Moira have something in common; they’re both mad scientists, and two cosplayers brought them to life in a stunning way. The mad scientist character archetype has been tried and tested time and time again. However, it’s hard to find a game that has done it better than Overwatch. They even managed to pull it off twice. Moira O’Deorain, better known as Moira, is a geneticist who cares more about scientific advancement than human rights and ethics. It’s a little ironic, considering she’s a support hero. Siebren de Kuiper, also known by his alias, Sigma, is very much the same. He’s an eccentric astrophysicist who gained the power to manipulate gravity after an experiment went wrong. Cosplayers are often community-minded, and three creative minds came together to bring Sigma and Moira to life. Stracichu and Lictor_01 teamed up with a photographer named Axel Nova, and the results are stunning. The picture shows them standing back-to-back in what looks like an eerily-lit science lab. It even has some incredible after effects, including Sigma’s Hyperspheres and Moira’s Biotic Orb. View this post on Instagram The outfits are based on flashbacks when we see the characters dressed up in lab coats. They’re both white with black and silver seams and hang well past their knees. Sigma’s looks a bit like a military-jacket, with a high half-collar on his neck. It also has blue straps on the collar and around his elbows. He’s also wearing black gloves and even colored his hair slightly grey. Moira’s looks a bit more traditional with a standard buttoned-up collar. However, she’s included a purple and black patch and two canisters with biotic energy strapped around her waist. The highlight is definitely the hair, though, which looks like the real deal. View this post on Instagram It was a combined effort, and all three of them did an incredible job. The outfits were breathtaking from head to toe, the poses were on-point, and the photography was slick and professional. Overwatch players love seeing their favorite characters brought to life, and talented cosplayers know exactly how to pull it off. The post on the Overwatch subreddit has already generated almost 7,000 upvotes, and they’re all well deserved.

She looks so much like the game’s mascot, it’s almost as if the heroine has zipped out of the screen. Overwatch cosplayer becomes real life Tracer Ever since its debut in 2016, players have been met with the game’s bubbly mascot, Tracer. The British hero can blink through time and uses pulse pistols. While not the strongest fighter, her incredible speed and ability to reverse time can make her a real nuisance in battles. Prolific cosplayer Lada Lyumos made waves on Instagram after showcasing her incredible transformation into the Blizzard character. Photographer ‘kmitenkova‘ captured the artist in Tracer’s signature brown Royal Air Force bomber jacket. Lada posed as the DPS hero, and showed off how faithful her re-creation is to the game. Overwatch cosplayer comes in like Wrecking Ball as handcrafted Hammond – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer comes in like Wrecking Ball as handcrafted Hammond nstagram: @kanto.cosplay / BlizzardIt’s not every day you see an Overwatch cosplayer come in like a Wrecking Ball and steal the show with a fantastic handcrafted take on Hammond, but Kanto Cosplay did exactly that with their piece. Overwatch cosplayers are a talented bunch. But while we’ve seen countless epic transformations into Ashe, Brigitte, D.Va, Mei, Tracer, and more, Hammond, a.k.a Wrecking Ball, is far less common due to the complexity and difficulty of pulling it off. After all, turning yourself into a tiny hamster sitting on top of a four-legged spherical robot is no easy task. However, a talented cosplayer named Kanto Cosplay showed that they had the creativity, determination, and grit to pull it off, and they did it all on a low budget. “There was a contest for a low-budget cosplay, and I really wanted to take part in it. I decided to go with Hammond from Overwatch,” they explained. They also sent us a video detailing the craftsmanship that went into it. View this post on Instagram It goes to show that you don’t always need a massive budget to pull off a brilliant cosplay; a creative mind mixed with simple materials and a bit of elbow grease is all you need, especially when it comes to notoriously difficult ones. Kanto Cosplay’s epic transformation is a testament to that, and they deserve all the likes and praise they’ve been getting.

Overwatch cosplayer wraps up warm in fantastic Mei photoshoot – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer wraps up warm in fantastic Mei photoshoot Instagram: candelacosplay / Blizzard EntertainmentCosplayer ‘candelacosplay’ has fantastically recreated a signature Mei look from the hugely popular game Overwatch, complete with a stunning snowy photo shoot. What better weather to cosplay Mei in than when it’s snowing? The frosty environment is a perfect match for the much-loved Overwatch character, whose primary abilities revolve around her “weather-altering devices,” as well her Cryo-Freeze defense and frost stream attacks. The adventurer and climatologist Mei-ling Zhou’s backstory revolves around her setting out to reverse the considerable climate issues in the world of Overwatch, her cozy-looking outfit the perfect match for her occupation. Chloe, a.k.a candelacosplay, has captured that frosty aesthetic exactly, the background alone worthy of belonging in an animation with its blurred snowflakes and snowy forest. Her outfit from Micco Costumes has an incredible attention to detail, the cotton-padded jacket with its fluffy neck and blue and grey paneling is sharp and accurate, of course with embellishment on her arm to reflect the original outfit. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCcUT6PDuWS/ Chloe’s editing is on point, the before and after shots showing how color correction can go a long way in creating atmosphere in a cosplay shoot. The blues and whites are vibrant with a high contrast giving it that animated feel, in what the creator herself described as a “cute and bright” edit. The editing also brings out the detail in Chloe’s makeup, particularly the rosy cheeks and lips that highlight Mei’s cuter character. Her dedication was strong for this shoot, as in some photos she is even sitting in the snow to get the perfect shot – and it most definitely paid off. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCpL1D1DV1F/ Candelacosplay has recreated characters from a variety of different universes including Persona 5 and Final Fantasy, but with the amazing results of this shoot hopefully, she’ll dip back into the Overwatch universe sometime soon.

Overwatch cosplayer wins Play of the Game as perfect D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer wins Play of the Game as perfect D.Va Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: @_alixx.rosa_An Overwatch cosplayer brought D.Va to life with her insanely accurate recreation. The artist’s mind-blowing costume captures the beloved Blizzard Entertainment heroine. Despite Tracer being the de-facto mascot for Overwatch since the multiplayer launched in 2016, D.Va has stolen the hearts of many fans of the Blizzard Entertainment team-based shooter. A skilled cosplayer celebrated the popular Korean Tank hero with her incredibly detailed costume. The artist looks so much like the character, it’s almost as if she’s nuked her way out of the screen. Overwatch cosplayer stuns as true-to-life D.Va Cosplayer ‘alixx.rosa‘ made waves on social media after bringing beloved Overwatch hero D.Va to life in a series of Instagram posts. The artist faithfully depicted the character’s signature classic default skin. In the photo, Alix showed off her detailed re-creation of the Blizzard heroine’s blue and white bodysuit which includes intricate details such as the bunny emblem that sits across her chest. Overwatch cosplayer will heal you up as charming Snow Owl Ana – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer will heal you up as charming Snow Owl Ana Instagram: hioshiru_blue / Blizzard[jwplayer MDxzN19r]This remarkable Overwatch cosplayer honed in on the challenge of recreating one of the game’s more unique Legendary skins by bringing Ana’s Snow Owl variant to life. Since the release of Blizzard’s popular hero shooter in 2016, dozens of cosmetic unlocks have been added into the game. Each seasonal event comes with a heap of character skins, sprays, emotes, and plenty more. Some of these are far more difficult to obtain than others though. Legendary skins always top the pack as the rarest items in Overwatch. However, it’s often well worth the effort once you finally get your hands on one. Legendary skins completely overhaul character designs and give your favorite heroes entirely new looks. Ana currently has seven Legendary skins to showcase, ranging from her classic Captain Amari look to the casual Cabana outfit. While each and every one is distinct, her Snow Owl skin is among the most original of any Legendary in the game. Thanks to cosplayer ‘hioshiru_blue,’ we now have a real-life version of the skin. View this post on Instagram This particular cosmetic for the Support hero arrived during the 2017 Winter Wonderland event. Every square inch of the design has been overhauled from the ground up to give off the feathery impression. From talons on her feet to bright blue feathers on her mask, every detail has been faithfully recreated by the cosplayer. Robotic-looking eyes pierce through the faceplate while the full overcoat drapes over a few layers of armor. Even the unique weapon design for Ana’s Biotic Rifle comes equipped with this standout costume. A white base is complemented with yellow and black features no different from the rest of the skin itself. The design appears to be fairly lightweight as well. The cosplayer has taken this version of Ana to multiple conventions, even posing in front of a green screen in one photoshoot to be perfectly dropped into a snowy King’s Row. View this post on Instagram It’s rare to see an Ana cosplay, let alone a cosplay that focuses on an intricate Legendary skin. Yet rare designs seem to be just what the cosplay community is going: just last week, a Bastion cosplayer stole the spotlight too as the Omnic hero.

Overwatch cosplayer goes viral as rebellious gunslinger Ashe – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer goes viral as rebellious gunslinger Ashe Blizzard / Instagram: @sarahjaneafkSarah Jane is a Twitch streamer by trade, but she burst onto the cosplay scene with an explosive take on Ashe from Overwatch, and it’s been so well-received, it’s given her the confidence to do more down the track. Overwatch cosplayers love having a crack at transforming into their favorite heroes. In recent months, we’ve seen everything from Beekeeper Mei to Pale Serpent Widowmaker and more. It’s been a while since somebody made a splash on the internet as Ashe, which is odd since she’s a popular choice both in-game and in terms of cosplays. But that’s changed now thanks to Twitch star Sarah Jane, whose first-ever cosplay turned out to be a gem; it’s taking the Overwatch fandom by storm. In an exclusive interview with Dexerto, Sarah explained what motivated her to do it. “Overwatch is my main content focus, and I’ve always had a huge love for the Overwatch hero designs,” she said. “I got my community to vote for which hero I should cosplay, and they chose Ashe. When I do play DPS, I either usually lean towards playing Ashe or McCree, so it was a good fit!” After getting all the bits and pieces together, Sarah posted the cosplay on Reddit. It went on to rack up 10,000 upvotes and drew hundreds of comments in which people described it as “beautiful, on-point, and stunning.” She nailed everything from the hair and make-up to the hat, gloves, and costume. The only thing missing is the gun and, of course, Bob, Ashe’s omnic bodyguard. But given how difficult those are to pull off, nobody held it against her. “I did NOT expect this much positive reception at all,” she said. In fact, she admitted it nearly didn’t happen: “I was close to not going ahead with it because I honestly didn’t feel comfortable about doing cosplay on stream.” Thankfully, she went ahead with it because it turned out great. Sarah also revealed that she’d be “happy” to give other cosplays a crack in the future. As for what they could be, well, she’s got her heart set on Ana from Overwatch and Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII. Overwatch cosplayer takes flight as breathtaking Atlantic Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer takes flight as breathtaking Atlantic Mercy Blizzard / IG: melamori.cosplayThe Overwatch community is filled with talented cosplayers, and one named Melamori added her name to the list after dishing up an absolutely stunning transformation into Atlantic Mercy. Overwatch fans have had their fair share of ups and downs in the last few years. At one point, it felt like Overwatch 2 was never going release due to one delay after another. Fortunately, that didn’t end up being the case. The beta went off without a hitch, and although it drew mixed opinions, some players found it difficult to return to its predecessor. However, one thing they can always rely on is seeing quality cosplays within the community. That’s because Overwatch has one of the most vibrant rosters in the industry. The personality of each hero shines through in their appearance, interactions with other heroes, and of course, their engrossing backstories. As a result, fans have become quite attached to their favorite heroes — and when that happens, it’s inevitable that fans who also happen to be talented cosplayers will do their best to bring those characters to life. Mercy has always been a popular choice. Not only because she’s been a staple pick since the game’s inception, but also because she has a unique, angel-like appearance, that can be further enhanced by many skins. The Atlantic Mercy skin is perhaps the most sought-after one. It gives her an alluring blue and purple aesthetic, complete with a jewel-encrusted arbor and a tiara. Melamori re-created it all, and she absolutely nailed it. View this post on Instagram It was immediately a smash-hit among her fanbase. They heaped praise in the comments section of her post, describing it as amazing, beautiful, incredible, and it was well-deserved — she didn’t miss a single beat. Melamori has wowed us with her scintillating cosplays before. She brought Genshin Impact’s Rosaria and League of Legend’s Evelynn to life, and they were fantastic from head to toe. We can’t wait to see what she does next.

Overwatch cosplayer takes aim with incredibly accurate Widowmaker outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer takes aim with incredibly accurate Widowmaker outfit Instagram: @leechu_cos / Blizzard EntertainmentA skilled Overwatch cosplayer has literally become Widowmaker with an insanely good take on the sniper hero. Widowmaker is one of the first-person shooter’s damage-per-second characters, and uses a sniper rifle to inflict deadly shots onto her enemies. Cosplayer and streamer Leechu shared her cosplay of the poisonous hero, and it’s so accurate, it’ll have fans think she’s stepped right out of their TV screen. Amazing Overwatch cosplay The character gets her name from the black widow spider, which is fitting considering she killed her husband Gérard Lacroix after the enemy team Talon reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. In Widow’s default skin, she wears a helmet shaped like a spider’s head with multiple red eyes. The Korean artist replicates this in her take, as well as her flowing black hair. The DPS hero’s sniper rifle, Widow’s Kiss, scopes out enemies from long distances, and allows her to inflict headshots with ease. This is something that Leechu recreates with perfect accuracy in her shot, and makes for one of the best Overwatch cosplays we’ve ever seen. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7cY-X0nw_v/ In another photograph, the streamer shows off her costume in its full glory, and completely nails the character’s purple and black bodysuit. She even got the makeup down to a T, mimicking her cold, blue skin effortlessly. The cosplayer is shown slinging her Grappling Hook towards the camera in the shot, which Widowmaker uses when trying to flank or evade targets. This ties the whole thing together, and really gives the whole thing an ominous yet epic feel. When paired with the dark, urban background, the atmosphere makes it feel as though you’re right in the freezing cold back alleys alongside the sniper who’s waiting for her prey. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7gWWoPnz2L/ Leechu isn’t just an Overwatch cosplayer – she’s also been known to create outfits from other pop culture franchises such as Pokemon, Super Mario, and Re:Zero. The Korean also streams on Twitch from time to time when not dressing up as her favorite characters.

Overwatch cosplayer supports her allies as beautiful Pink Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer supports her allies as beautiful Pink Mercy Blizzard Entertainment, leona_huooOverwatch’s Pink Mercy skin has won the hearts of players across the globe, and one cosplayer has brought the iconic cosmetic to life. If there was ever a skin that held so much meaning for a game’s community, it’s Overwatch’s Pink Mercy. Released in 2018 for a limited time in support of Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the cosmetic’s meaning resonated with a whole lot of players. As the fanbase continues to urge the devs to add the skin back into the game, we’ve seen talented artists design similar cosmetics for fellow supports Brigitte and Ana. In an attempt to sate frustrations and bring the character to life, Chinese cosplayer leona_huoo (Leona) has perfectly recreated Pink Mercy in a cosplay that will blow your minds. Overwatch Pink Mercy cosplay will melt your heart Choosing to do an Overwatch cosplay “because Overwatch is the best FPS game from my perspective,” she notes ” I really love this game, and that love motivated me to do a cosplay.” The iconic pink Mercy skin was a no-brainer for her, especially given the symbolism of the skin. “I’m a Mercy main in Overwatch and Pink Mercy is my favorite skin,” she told Dexerto, continuing “Pink Mercy also very meaningful due to it being a skin for breast cancer awareness.” Recalling “my Pink Mercy cosplay was a little more difficult compared to my earlier cosplays,” she states “Mercy has a pair of big heavy wings, so it is quite difficult to keep them at the correct angle and move freely or pose properly at the same time.” When you look at Leona’s cosplay, though, you’d never have known she’d had any trouble. Perfectly embodying the Swiss healer’s innocence and warmth, every little detail is masterfully recreated. Golden hair cascades in two pigtails down her shoulders, and that baby pink tunic and its silvery inlays cling tight to her form. Of course, all eyes are on those mechanical wings, which sprout out of her back and look as though they’re ready to lift her high into the skies. View this post on Instagram It turns out that her Overwatch cosplay journey doesn’t end here – in fact, it has only just begun! “The lore behind every character is fantastic and really tempting,” she told Dexerto, revealing “I am planning to cosplay all of the female heroes in Overwatch if I can (except Zarya hahaha. She is too strong for me to match the image!) “My next target will be Ashe and Symmetra. I am also planning to finish my Ana, Brigitte, and Moira cosplays before the end of 2022. I hope I can achieve all of this!” Considering heroes never die, we’re sure that Leona will achieve her aim of cosplaying the game’s entire female roster. Until then, though, we really can’t get enough of her beautiful Pink Mercy!

Overwatch cosplayer suits up for battle as fearsome D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer suits up for battle as fearsome D.Va Blizzard Entertainment, zerg_queenOverwatch cosplays have become a fan favorite method of showing appreciation for the game, but this cosplayer’s D.Va outfit has stunned the community. Overwatch’s cosplay scene has existed since the game was released in 2016, with players masterfully recreating characters like spider queen, Widowmaker, and rebel with a cause, Ashe. Korean pop idol turned esports star, D.Va, has also become the subject of numerous different cosplayer’s imaginations, with one artist transforming into a somewhat darker version of the beloved tank character. Bringing back the cute, though, is Ukranian cosplayer zerg_queen (Marina), whose faithful recreation of Korea’s finest warrior is absolutely breathtaking. Overwatch D.Va cosplay shoots for a new high score Despite Starcraft 2 being her favorite Blizzard title, Marina confesses that “I love playing Overwatch too. There are so many cool characters in Overwatch and it was the perfect start for cosplay.” Telling Dexerto that “Actually, D.Va is my first cosplay,” she was drawn to the character’s “personality and outfit. Just look at her, she is so beautiful! And she is fun, kind, determined, and always comes to the rescue of those in need. I would love to be like her.” It turns out she’s achieved just that, as her D.Va cosplay truly embodies the fun yet feisty nature of the fan-favorite hero. “To begin with, I bought a ready-made costume, luckily there are many for sale online, but I had to hem it to my parameters to make it fit my figure perfectly,” she notes, and ‘perfect’ is just the word for this cosplay. View this post on Instagram “I also had to alter the wig, trim it and style it to look perfect,” she continues, noting that “I always do makeup myself, it’s my favorite part, I love to do makeup and change into a totally different person.” From that cascading, chocolate colored hair to the soft eye makeup and cat-like facial decals, you can tell Marina has taken a painstaking amount of time getting everything spot on. “In fact, this cosplay is one of the easiest because it doesn’t require full-body makeup, like Ahsoka’s cosplay from Star Wars. But it still takes about two hours to get ready for the photoshoot.” View this post on Instagram And we can expect to see more Blizzard-inspired photoshoots in the future – but they may not always be Overwatch characters! “I plan to do many more Blizzard cosplays! First of all, I want to cosplay Mercy from Overwatch and of course Sarah Kerrigan,” paying homage to her beloved Starcraft. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this budding cosplay queen, but what we really can’t wait for is that Mercy cosplay!

Overwatch cosplayer’s stunning take on All-Star Mercy is out of this world – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer’s stunning take on All-Star Mercy is out of this world An Overwatch cosplayer turned Mercy’s All-Star 2019 skin into a real life work of art, and it truly is something special. The first-person shooter’s All-Star skins have been available for a limited time during the Overwatch League’s All-Star Games for the last couple of years. In 2018, fans saw cosmetics for Tracer and Genji, and ones for Mercy and Lucio in 2019. While the skins aren’t available any more, one talented cosplayer decided to share her take on the coveted Mercy outfit, and it’s perfect. All-Star Mercy cosplay Cosplayer Tiffany Gordon from ‘tiffanygordoncosplay’ uploaded her rendition of the galactic Mercy skin onto her Instagram account, where fans were blown away by the insane accuracy of the outfit to the game. Sporting the skin’s signature crescent moon crown, the prop maker truly does look like the loveable healer hero – especially with her flowing purple hair. What pulls the look together, though, is the beautiful detailing of the character’s wings with their purple and teal tips, and crescent moons that match the crown. And if that wasn’t amazing enough already, they actually move too! Even Mercy’s staff is beautifully recreated, with the cosplayer going into detail about how she made the intricate top section of the weapon in another Instagram post. The process showed that she used Adobe Illustrator to map out the design of the staff, and put it to another rendering program to turn it into a model, before bringing it to life with a 3D printer, and then sanding and painting the prop. As for the outfit itself, Tiffany used leather which she then airbrush painted to pull everything together for the perfect cosplay. This isn’t the first time that the cosplayer has created a Mercy outfit – she’s also made the Pink charity skin, and the Valkyrie one – but her All-Star one is just something really special. Tiffany’s insanely detailed work obviously resonates with many people, as she boasts over 45,000 followers on her Instagram account at this time of writing.

Overwatch cosplayer sparkles with stunning Atlantic Mercy look – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer sparkles with stunning Atlantic Mercy look Instagram: Tiffany Gordon Cosplay, Blizzard EntertainmentIt’s safe to say that Mercy has become one of Overwatch’s most cosplayed characters. [jwplayer M3HL00nb] When it comes to Mercy, the Overwatch world has truly fallen in love. The iconic angel inspired doctor has become a staple in both pro play and casual games, coming to save us every time that we end up in danger. We’ve seen her transformed into a steampunk version of herself just dripping in darkness, but one of her most iconic skins is her 2019 All Star Skin. It’s pretty rare these days, but the lunar inspired blue and purple aesthetic make it stand out from the pack. Hoping to channel her inner sparkle is this cosplayer, who has recreated the beautiful design just in time for Blizzard’s 30th anniversary. Insane Overwatch Atlantic Mercy cosplay Just in time for Blizzard’s 30th anniversary, Instagram cosplayer Tiffany Gordon has brought back her beautiful recreation of the healer’s All Star skin. Seen sporting the aquamarine and lilac armor that make the skin so iconic, every detail on the outfit is perfect. From the color transitions to the ornate midnight inspired designs that decorate the armor, every little detail is meticulously designed. What’s even more striking are the black and purple wings, however. Still mechanical but also incredibly ornate, the skin’s iconic lavender hue glows brightly against the midnight metal that forms the bones of the wings. Finally, there’s Mercy’s Caduceus staff. Looking as though it was forged in the heart of a dying star, the gun metal and cyan combo come together to create beautiful contrast. Mercy herself would be proud of Tiffany’s creation! View this post on Instagram With close to 4 thousand likes and a whole host of positive comments, this stunning cosplay has certainly won the hearts of Overwatch fans everywhere. It’s great to see that, despite everything going on around us, creativity still flourishes and people still support it. We can’t wait to see what other cosplays Tiffany comes up with next. She’s already done 9 Blizzard cosplays, so one more can’t hurt right?

Overwatch cosplayer sprints into battle as Soldier 76 with female twist – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer sprints into battle as Soldier 76 with female twist Blizzard/Instagram/HendoartCosplayers are no strangers to creating unique outfits based on Overwatch heroes and Hendoart proved to be no different with her stunning female take on Soldier 76. Soldier 76 is one of the original classic Overwatch heroes, having been around since the game’s launch. With his iconic red, white, and blue jacket, mask, plus heavy pulse rifle, Jack Morrison can easily stand out in a crowd. That all said, cosplayer and streamer Sarah ‘Hendoart’ Hendo decided to tackle the DPS hero from her own perspective, in what she called a “mini gender bend.” As you can see from the photos, Hendo absolutely nailed the look of Soldier 76 getting the jacket, gloves, gun, and even biotic field down pat. View this post on Instagram Meanwhile, she also added some of her own flair. Thanks to her feminine figure, the outfit manages to take on a life of its own, especially with her flowing brown hair behind 76’s mask. However, the best part comes in the form of a little video she created with a fellow Mercy cosplayer. In the clip, the battle-scarred Hendo begs for healing and even “spams” for it – a bit of a meme in the Overwatch community. “Just a battle-damaged Soldier and a Mercy who dgaf about me,” she captioned the video. View this post on Instagram Eventually, the Mercy begins to nurse Hendo back to health and starts wrapping her arm in a bandage, and evaluates the rest of the hero’s injuries. Hendo’s cosplays aren’t limited to just Overwatch either. She has cosplayed as many different DC and Marvel superheroes including Spider-Man, Harley Quinn, Joker, Mary Jane, and Venom just to name a few. View this post on Instagram Soldier 76 isn’t the only Overwatch cosplay she’s done either. In the past, she has done many different takes on the tank hero D.Va including her School Girl and Tangerine themed skins. With Overwatch 2 on the way and multiple more heroes coming with the sequel, this likely isn’t the last we’ve seen from Hendoart and quite frankly, we can’t wait to see what else she has in store.

Overwatch cosplayer snipes the competition as Pale Serpent Widowmaker – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer snipes the competition as Pale Serpent Widowmaker Blizzard Entertainment, Instagram: crescentkittycosplayOverwatch’s resident villainess, Widowmaker, is a popular cosplay choice, but one cosplayer has taken it to a whole new level with this spectacular Pale Serpent Widowmaker outfit. Despite her depravity, Overwatch’s French sniper Widowmaker has become one of the game’s most famous faces. 2021 has been quite the year for her too, as she’s received three new Legendary skins so far. One of these is the now iconic Pale Serpent Widowmaker, which dropped as part of the annual Lunar New Year event. Adorned in white and pink, the Asian-inspired design is a very different look for the normally dark and mysterious hunter. One fan has made this virtual outfit into a real life cosplay, though, and it’s absolutely stunning. CrescentKittyCosplay, better known as Charlie, has beautifully recreated the Talon agent’s stunning Lunar skin in real life. Showing off her outfit in a series of photos by lazzaro_studios, she’s painted herself silver and strapped on that rose gold battle armor. Featuring a beautiful pastel pink kimono adorned with all of the character’s white trimmings, this cosplay is out of this world. Charlie has also created a stunning replica of Widow’s iconic Recon Visor. Transformed into a pearlescent snake-like crown, it sits on top of a flowing waterfall of violet hair. It’s all of the little details that make this cosplay so perfect though. Those piercing amber eyes, the little hair sticks in her bun, the fan – it all brings the seductive huntress to life. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram Charlie gave Dexerto a little insight into the creation of this stunning piece. Noting that “it took about a week to do the cosplay,” that stunning recon visor is “made of modelling foam and acrylic.” “I’ve been doing Overwatch cosplay for three years,” she recalls. “What drew me to it at first was Alyson Tabbitha‘s cosplay of Widowmaker. I got into Overwatch because of that.” And we’re so glad she did. We can’t wait to see which iteration of Widowmaker she’ll decide to do next. Will it be Summer Games Widow in line with the season, or the new Ange de la Mort Overwatch League skin? Only time will tell, but we do know one thing: no one can hide from her sight.

Overwatch cosplayer shows who’s boss with fierce Officer D.Va outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer shows who’s boss with fierce Officer D.Va outfit A skilled Overwatch fan turned D.Va’s Officer skin into a real-life work of art with their spot-on cosplay portrayal of the Korean character. The Officer D.Va skin first turned heads back in 2017 when it was made unlockable for Overwatch through Heroes of the Storm. Thankfully, it was later added to the Hero Gallery permanently for those who missed out, or those who didn’t want to play another game to unlock it. Since then, the cosmetic has become a fan-favorite with fans of the hero shooter – so much so that people have turned it into real life cosplays. Officer D.Va at your service Skilled cosplayer Agnia Severina shared her take on the loveable heroine, and made her look extra fierce and in control. In the getup, the Korean sports a blue work shirt with her iconic pink bunny motif – something that the Russian artist replicates perfectly. Even the character’s police cap is nailed perfectly, making for an insanely accurate true-to-life rendition. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5sYoLzD9Vw/ In another shot, Agnia adds aviator sunglasses to her look, making D.Va look even more authoritative and fierce than before. The neon light signs reflected in the shades give the cosplay a more urban vibe, and makes it feel as though the Lijiang Night Market and Busan maps have come to life. All that’s missing is the Korean hero’s Mech, which is painted blue in the game to match her outfit, and features police lights and sirens that go off when using her Boost ability. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5pdx7Ij3Bt/ The cosplayer is a self-proclaimed Overwatch fangirl, and boasts many other takes on her Instagram account, such as Dr. Ziegler Mercy and fan-made skin Magical Girl D.Va. She’s built up a small fanbase for her costumes, with almost 4,000 followers on her Instagram at this time of writing.

Overwatch cosplayer shows D.Va’s sinister side with Harley Quinn mashup – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer shows D.Va’s sinister side with Harley Quinn mashup DC/Blizzard Entertainment[jwplayer Nx4MxVGu] Overwatch may not have major crossover events with other entertainment properties like Fortnite does, but that hasn’t stopped fans from combining their love of Blizzard’s hero shooter with DC Comics in the form of cosplay. In a really innovative costume, cosplayer Lula Cosplay merged Overwatch’s MEKA Squad with the Suicide Squad by transforming D.va into Harley Quinn and the result is spectacular. Both Harley Quinn and D.va are popular characters to cosplay in their own right, so combining them into one and merging the fanbases is a really cool concept. https://www.instagram.com/p/B96WZFhocMK/ D.Va’s pink and blue attire was replaced with the classic black and red adorned by the DC villain when she first debuted in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series. The pink warpaint on the South Korean pilot’s face was changed to red as well, maintaining the contrasting theme. In one photo the cosplayer opted to show off her black wavy hair, but in others, she decided to dye it red and black as opposed to donning a jester hat that the character wears on the TV show. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7inYYAoeEC/ Finally, as a nice little touch, Lula decided to add a neat Quinn symbol to her leggings where the MEKA text would normally go. A digitally modified picture even showcased what type of mech this D.va-Quinn hybrid would pilot and it too matches the color scheme of the cosplay itself, though it would probably come packed with a bit more explosives than meets the eye. This isn’t the first outfit Lulu crafted and it certainly won’t be the last. In the past, she’s dressed up as Gwen Stacy Venom Spider-Man, Mystique from X-Men, and even Stain from My Hero Academia. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_CMX5fj5Uk/ Given her talent at mixing up franchises and merging them into something unique, we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for her next creation. Maybe she’ll even try incorporating the more modern version of Harley Quinn with D.va and see if that packs the same punch.

Overwatch cosplayer schools opponents as adorable Academy D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer schools opponents as adorable Academy D.Va Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: @hendoartAn Overwatch cosplayer went viral on Instagram after sharing their transformation into popular tank hero, D.Va. The artist adorably brought the character’s Academy skin to life like you’ve never seen before. [jwplayer MDxzN19r] Overwatch made its debut in 2016, and quickly became a cultural phenomena. Players fell in love with the team-shooter’s addicting gameplay, and its vibrant cast of characters such as D.Va. To celebrate the Korean heroine, prolific cosplayer ‘HendoArt’ brought her iconic ‘Academy’ skin to life. The artist looks so much like the tank, it’s almost as if she nerfed her way out of the screen. HendoArt brings Overwatch Academy D.Va to life The Korean tank character has many classic skins in the game already, from her police officer uniform to her Waveracer outfit. However, one of the most beloved looks is her Academy costume. Cosplayer Sarah ‘HendoArt’ Hendo made waves on Instagram after showing off her perfect recreation of D.Va’s school skin. Photographer ‘nels._’ captured the artist mirroring the character’s pose after she ejects from her mech. Sarah nailed the heroine’s blue and pink trimmed blazer, as well as her plaid skirt – which really ties the school uniform together. The picture’s perspective cleverly gives off the illusion that the cosplayer is flying through the air while she aims her pistol. https://www.instagram.com/p/BUH–A0gy2e/ In another adorable shot taken by ‘saffelsphotography’, the artist gave viewers a better look at the full costume. With special effects, HendoArt stands stands in front of the nuclear blast after launching her mech behind herself. https://www.instagram.com/p/BRcPP63AN0s/ As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the cosplayer also made a video on YouTube documenting the behind-the-scenes footage of her photoshoot. Fans of Overwatch get to see D.Va truly coming to life. Despite only releasing in 2016, Overwatch has already cemented itself as one of the top shooters in the genre. The team-based title has grown into a major esport with incredible talent. Fans of the Blizzard release have a lot to be excited for as a sequel to the FPS is just right around the corner. Expected to drop sometime in 2021, the expansion will include a PVE mode, as well new maps and characters.

Overwatch cosplayer schools fans with perfectly accurate Academy D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer schools fans with perfectly accurate Academy D.Va Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: @delcattnipAn insanely talented cosplayer has taken D.Va’s Academy skin and turned it into a work of art, giving Overwatch fans a glimpse of what the Korean hero would look like in real life. D.Va first got her Academy skin in May 2019 for the first-person shooter’s third Anniversary annual Event. Players quickly fell in love with the new cosmetic, and praised it as one of the tank’s best. Even now, fans still love the skin – much like cosplayer Jenna who decided to dress up as the Korean’s school form. Her take will be sure to leave the community in awe because of how insanely accurate it is to the game. The perfect Academy D.Va cosplay In her skin, D.Va sports a navy blue blazer with gold and pink trimmings, and a white shirt underneath with a pink tie for that official student look. The cosplayer nails this in her take, and even includes meticulous detailing such as gold buttons on the sleeves, the school logo, and the Korean text on her collar. While the uniform is a key piece to the cosmetic, the most defining feature of the outfit is probably the tank’s golden rimmed round glasses – something that, again, the art student mimics perfectly. The hairstyle also replicates the hero, with dark brown pigtails and side bangs that sit above the eyebrows, and she even included her iconic pink facial markings on both of her cheeks. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8R0z-DjcM5/ Another shot of the cosplayer gives a better look at the full outfit. Along with the blazer, D.Va also wears a pink plaid skirt that sits just above the knee, with gold detailing that matches the jacket. This is another thing that Jenna pulls off with precision, and honors the skin’s school vibe by carrying a pink backpack on her shoulders. She also wears the character’s golden headphones as well, which ties the whole thing together. As to truly not forget the Korean’s Overwatch membership, the artist finishes off the look by including the tank’s light gun, complete with dangling pink rabbit charm. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3prmOUjNF0/ D.Va isn’t the only Overwatch character that Jenna has taken on – she’s also created looks for Mercy, Widowmaker, a female Genji, Tracer, and more. Her designs are some of the best game-to-life renditions we’ve seen to date, and really show that sometimes, cosplays can truly be on another level.

Overwatch cosplayer rallies fans as armor-clad Brigitte – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer rallies fans as armor-clad Brigitte Instagram: @malyacosplay / BlizzardBrigitte is one of the more situational support heroes in Overwatch, but it’s always an excellent cosplay pick, especially when it’s done as well as this piece from talented French cosplayer Malya. Nobody rallies an Overwatch team together better than Brigitte. The melee support hero can do everything from heal, shield, and increase the armor on herself and allies to attack, stun, and boop her enemies off the map. It’s been a while since we’ve seen her thrive in the classic GOATS meta. However, she’s still a decent pick in some situations, depending on the map and the line-up on each team. Plus, she’s always an absolute blast to play. Malya, a talented cosplayer from France, doesn’t care about the meta. At least, not when it comes to her cosplays. She went all-in on transforming herself into the iconic mechanical engineer, and it turned out great. The piece has everything from the armor, clothes, and crown to the trademark flail, which she sent hurling towards the camera in an action shot. And the best part is, she’s doing it all in a snowy corridor that looks like a screenshot from the game. View this post on Instagram Brigitte cosplays are all the rage, even though they’re a bit harder to pull off than others thanks to the excessive armor. Still, Malya has done an excellent job, and her fans are inclined to agree. They described it as everything from amazing and magnificent to seriously classy. It’s not the first impressive piece she’s done, and it certainly won’t be the last. You can find them all on her Instagram profile by clicking here.

Overwatch cosplayer pulls off perfect Devi Symmetra look – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer pulls off perfect Devi Symmetra look Daisy Cosplay/Blizzard EntertainmentAn Overwatch cosplayer’s take on Symmetra’s Devi Legendary skin has blown fans away, and for good reason since it looks absolutely stunning. As one of the game’s original heroes, Overwatch players seem to either love Sym or love to hate her, with very little in between. She’s one of the few heroes that’s seen a complete overhaul to her kit and ultimate, but that hasn’t made her any less popular to cosplay, and Daisy Cosplay’s take on the hero is one of the best we’ve seen yet. The defining feature of this, and every good Devi cosplay, is the blue skin, which looks so natural that we’re not sure if it was done with paint or a filter in Photoshop. Either way though, it certainly looks amazing. Devi is probably one of Symmetra’s most intricate skins, detail wise, but Daisy didn’t seem to miss a beat (or bead, in this case), and even included the skulls that hang from her belt. Even the Devi version of Symmetra’s Beam Projector was included and like the rest of the outfit, the details seem to be spot on. Photographers are tagged in the pictures! ? ~ ~ ~ ~ #symmetracosplay #overwatchcosplay #starwarscosplay #aloycosplay #ahsokacosplay #disneycosplay #annafrozen #pokemoncosplay #cosmaker #cosplaygirl Throw in some special beam effects to make things look even better, and this cosplay looks about as close to an IRL Symmetra that can get, next to the voice actor herself playing the character. Along with the photos, Daisy also said she “missed the old Sym” referring to the hero before her rework. This might be a controversial opinion to some, but we can all agree that her Devi cosplay knocks it out of the park. Daisy currently has over 50,000 followers on Instagram and is putting out new cosplays all the time. If what she has coming next is anywhere near as good as Devi Symmetra, we can’t wait to see it and surely a lot of other Overwatch fans will be thinking the same, too.

Overwatch cosplayer nerfs the competition as bewitching D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer nerfs the competition as bewitching D.Va Instagram: YuuGray, Blizzard EntertainmentOverwatch’s D.Va is not only a popular pick for tank mains, but she’s also a fan favorite within the cosplay community, and one cosplayer is set to shoot for a new high score as the Korean idol. As Overwatch’s artistic community continues to devise weird and wonderful skin concepts for the game’s characters, it looks like the cosplay sphere are determined not to be outdone. We’ve seen some spectacular renditions of the Deadlock Gang’s sharpshooter, Ashe, as well as an insanely detailed recreation of the particularly nasty sniper rifle wielded by Talon’s resident spider queen, Widowmaker. Russian model and cosplayer YuuGray (Valeria)’s adorable D.Va cosplay, though, has to be one of our absolute favorites. Overwatch D.Va cosplay stuns fans Telling Dexerto that she has “been playing the game for a long time,” and that she wanted to ‘make her favorite character,” it’s clear that D.Va was the only choice for Valeria. “This character really touched me,” she confesses. “I love everything from her weapons to her costume. She looks cute and sexy at the same time.” Embodying D.Va’s feminine mystique, she’s seen framed by a black background splattered with neon embellishments. Sporting the Korean tank’s iconic blue and purple jumpsuit, the white rabbit in centre glows with an ominous ultraviolet hue. Her flowing brown hair is tucked over her shoulder, with her cat-inspired makeup is smudged from detonating her MEKA in the heart of the battlefield. Overall, Valeria’s take is more rugged that the perfectly poised esports star we see in-game, and it makes D.Va feel more deadly than ever. View this post on Instagram With one commenter noting that they “thought it was art,” it’s pretty clear that YuuGray’s D.Va has absolutely stunned the competition – and it turns out she might not be stopping here. Telling Dexerto that “perhaps [she] will make Tracer,” it seems like the wave of fans saying she’d “do great” as the spunky Englishwoman may get what they’ve wished for! Either way, we can’t wait to see which character she chooses to embody next.

Overwatch cosplayer makes a bang with explosive Junkrat outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer makes a bang with explosive Junkrat outfit Instagram: imrielcosplay, Blizzard EntertainmentWhen it comes to Overwatch cosplays, heroes like Mercy and D.Va take the medals for being the most popular. However, one cosplayer has created a Junkrat cosplay that blows all others out of the water. Junkrat is an anti-hero that haunts Overwatch Support and DPS players nightmares. As soon as you hear “ladies and gentlemen, start your engines” you know that there’s a team-wide wipe incoming. The troublesome Australian has become a fan favorite though, with one player even going so far as to measure how much the Junker carries on his back for viral a YouTube video. One fan has taken a very different approach to showing off their Junkrat love, and has created a jaw dropping cosplay that has shocked fans even more than getting caught in your fifth Spike Trap of the round. Fan creates insane Junkrat cosplay As seen on Reddit, Axel_Nova12 shared an image that they created for imrielcosplay (Valentino Notari), a talented cosplay artist based out of Italy. Seen surrounded in a halo of flames that has torched his hair in the same way as his virtual counterpart, laughing away as though he was on a theme park ride instead of sitting in front of a live explosion, the Italian has already managed to capture Junkrat’s likeness in his attitude alone, never mind in his oufit! The cosplay itself is literal perfection. Valentino has beautifully recreated the Overwatch rebel’s iconic grenade straps that hold his spiked RIP-tyre snugly against his back, ready for deployment against an unfortunate enemy team. What’s even more crazy is the fact that Valentino has convincingly created Junkrat’s iconic pegleg. It’s so realistic that, at first glance, you’d assume that the cosplayer himself actually had some form of prosthetic. It begs the question: how did he walk around with this?! Fans react It’s safe to say that fans are absolutely loving this rendition of the Aussie maniac, especially because male Overwatch heroes don’t get a lot of love in the cosplay sphere. One fan gave the cosplay the highest possible marks, writing that they “gave it a 10!” This was followed by a similar comment which referred to the piece as being “God Tier.” A final commenter complimented the post author’s photoshop skills, as they were clearly the mastermind behind the explosive background. Writing that “I’m more impressed by the photoshop,” the photographer has gotten some credit too. All in all this cosplay is pretty insane, just as insane as Junkrat himself! Valentino has exploded into the Overwatch cosplay scene in style, and we can’t wait to see if he creates any more outfits in the future. Either way, it’s safe to say this that one has captured the attention of fans everywhere.

Overwatch cosplayer looks effortlessly cool as D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer looks effortlessly cool as D.Va Instagram: mochichuu / Blizzard EntertainmentCosplayer Mochi Chuu has stunned Overwatch fans on Instagram with a perfectly matched D.Va outfit, in a fantastically dynamic shot. First-person-shooter Overwatch has achieved enormous popularity thanks to its vibrant aesthetic, and its diverse stock of playable characters who each have a fleshed-out backstory. The huge range of nationalities, builds, and aesthetics of the heroes has meant an endless supply of cosplay opportunities, and a range of styles to explore and emulate through costume. One such character is D.Va, a Korean professional gamer who carried her razor-sharp computer skills forward to the operation of a state-of-the-art mech to defend her nation alongside her crew members in the MEKA unit. Cosplayer Mochi Chuu set out to emulate D.Va’s classic colorful bodysuit, in a photoshoot with a high production feel that wowed fans of the game, and particularly those who love D.Va. The bodysuit designed by miccostumes is perfectly form-fitting, a perfect blend of neon pink, blue and black material that is stitched together to replicate the shape of the original. https://www.instagram.com/p/CE7AdZJD0TR/ The slight vertical paneling on both the upper torso and the waist give it that slightly mechanical feel to match up with her pro mech operation, and shows the level of detail put into the base of the outfit. This detail is matched down to the logos on the white panel on her thigh. On her head, Mochi Chuu wears D.Va’s usual pink headphones, and of course, has her iconic pink triangle markings painted on her cheeks to tie the whole image in together. The background and composition is the icing on the cake, photographer Gardani Angelica capturing the perfect lean and shoot pose that paired with the neon pink background gives Mochi Chuu’s recreation an effortless coolness. This isn’t the first time Mochi has recreated the glowing neon look of D.Va, having produced several cosplay images of the character prior to this one. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEE76NkjGNw/ The incredible cosplay has now garnered over 11,000 likes, and going up fast, with people loving the perfect likeness.

Overwatch cosplayer looks cold as ice with perfect Mei costume – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer looks cold as ice with perfect Mei costume BlizzardAn astonishing cosplay of Overwatch’s Mei has been revealed by a member of the game’s online community, perfectly recreating the character’s original skin. The online multiplayer’s fanbase has grown continuously since the game was first released in 2016, not just in size but in creativity with tons of cosplays based on different characters going viral. Incredible recreations of Ashe, Widowmaker and many others have stormed the internet, but on January 29 one Reddit user revealed an outfit that they have created for one of the heroes that we don’t always see people cosplaying, and that’s Mei. Now, everybody has their favorite in Overwatch – whether that be the one that they main every time they go online to play, one they really like the backstory for, or just appreciate how good they look in the game. However, we can’t say we’ve seen many cosplays inspired by Mei before, certainly not to the standard of Reddit user derkynord anyway. The damage hero has a striking blue outfit that looks perfect for the snow, which is quite fitting if you consider the weather-altering abilities she has in-game, and the cosplayer has done everything she can to recreate that same look in this fantastic design. “I main support and tank but Mei was my first hero, and I still play her when I want a little change,” the cosplayer explained, “Love the crowd control abilities and versatility in play, reminds me of playing Discipline Priest in WoW pvp” While she admitted in the post that she no longer mains Mei, instead opting for tank heroes, it was the first character she tried out on the game and has been loyal to her ever since – still giving her a runout on the odd occasion. “I still play her when I want a little change. Love the crowd control abilities and versatility in play, reminds me of playing Discipline Priest in WoW PVP,” she said. One element of the cosplay that received positive feedback from redditors was her hair. One said: “Adorable, I love your hair,” to which she responded: “Thanks! It’s a wig. My actual hair is always dyed weird colors so it wouldn’t work for this at all.” Whether or not derkynord will reveal more of her work on the Overwatch subreddit in the future remains to be seen, but based on how much traction this one received – over 2,200 upvotes at the time of writing – we’re sure this isn’t the last we see of her.

Overwatch cosplayer leads the Deadlock Gang as rebellious Ashe – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer leads the Deadlock Gang as rebellious Ashe Activision BlizzardAn Overwatch cosplayer has come up with an impressive rendition of Ashe’s Deadlock skin in her latest compelling cosplay. Ashe is one of Overwatch’s deadliest and most feared DPS characters, featuring one of the game’s most beloved ultimate abilities, Bob. The two, together, make up a dynamic duo and one that many cosplayers have sought to replicate and honor throughout the years. But, this latest cosplay from Mercurygin truly does the fiery and rebellious hero justice, taking all the best notes. A part of the Deadlock gang, Ashe is a gunslinger that isn’t afraid of any opponent, and neither is this cosplayer, one can just hear her saying, “My business, my rules.” Mercurygin, the cosplayer pictured, has done several renditions of Ashe in the past along with a few other characters from other games. However, this one may be her best work. Fans in the comments on Reddit have noted how flawlessly she nailed the look, even claiming that her hair might be even better than Ashe’s. As stunning as this looks, however, fans have raised one, vital request in their support of the cosplayer asking “Where’s Bob?” While the giant robot companion may not be featured here, this cosplay is a true success nonetheless.

Overwatch cosplayer lays down the law in brilliant Officer D.Va outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer lays down the law in brilliant Officer D.Va outfit Instagram: julrever / BlizzardRussian cosplayer ‘julrever’ has taken the Overwatch fandom by storm with a brilliant rendition of D.Va’s ever-popular Officer skin, decking out in the full MEKA uniform from head to toe. Officer D.Va is one of the Korean Overwatch star’s most popular skins. First released in 2017 as part of a crossover with Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard’s MOBA franchise, the skin is still used by many today, even if she gets more cosmetics at almost every event. Its popularity in-game translates to out of the server too. Officer D.Va is one of the most popular Overwatch skins to cosplay, with many before now taking it upon themselves to bring the Korean MEKA pilot to life in full uniform. Russian cosplayer ‘julrever’ might not be the first one to do so, but she’s definitely done one of the better ones. Julrever’s take on the Korean hero is very much true-to-life. The Russian cosplayer managed to manicure the MEKA pilot’s features perfectly, from the blue service uniform, down to the long hair and face paint. While you can’t see it on the photo she posted to Reddit, on julrever’s Instagram, you can tell she even got the shirt patches down-pat, and even made herself a special MEKA belt. View this post on Instagram She crafted one of D.Va’s hand cannons to go along with the cosplay — rather fitting considering she’s out of her mech and on the streets. She 3D printed the design, giving her the chance to even work in a proper trigger. It looks like julrever even managed to hunt down a Junkrat in her time on the Officer D.Va beat. She used one of the Australian maniac’s RIP-tires as a bit of a footstep in posing for her shot. Julrever doesn’t just do Overwatch cosplays. She has also done Tatsumaki from One Punch Man, Templar Assassin from Dota 2, and Isabelle from Animal Crossing. However, we personally think her Officer D.Va is one of her best. Although conventions are a distant memory, this would definitely turn heads at any hall.

Overwatch cosplayer lands bullseye as stunning Ashe on Route 66 – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer lands bullseye as stunning Ashe on Route 66 Blizzard / Instagram: le_blaaanc_cosplay[jwplayer aOrpSmF8]Ashe looks ready to smoke the competition in this remarkable Overwatch cosplay as the DPS hero has been brought to life with a stunning attention to detail. Overwatch cosplayers tend to focus on the most popular heroes with their designs. D.Va is often a common one, while Sombra and Tracer get their fair share of attention too. Though every once in a while, someone thinks outside of the box and creates a rare costume for their most beloved character. Take Bastion, for instance. Most would never consider the Omnic hero as an option, though some costume creators rise to the occasion. Ashe often falls into this category. While other DPS heroes steal the spotlight, rare Ashe cosplays are able to shine through. The latest example drops the American hero into a western setting reminiscent of Route 66. While B.O.B. might not be by her side to “do something,” this recreation of Ashe is sure to leave enemies stunned regardless. View this post on Instagram Ukrainian cosplayer ‘le_blaaanc_cosplay’ has donned costumed of many popular characters since Overwatch first released. Though Ashe is among her latest challenges. The damage dealer is on full display with every minute detail taken into consideration. From the golden sheen on her knee pads to a holster for her dynamite, no stone was left unturned. Ashe’s trademark silver hair is also part of the costume as this recreation came detailed from head to toe. Even her cowboy hat is adorned with an exact match of the golden emblem found in-game. Not only that, but the cosplayer also put the effort in to make her trusty semi-automatic rifle. The Viper matches perfectly in terms of both detail and size. While one picture has Ashe lining up a shot with pinpoint precision, another has her posing with the weapon over her shoulder. Reflecting both the threat and the charm of the DPS character. B.O.B. is nowhere to be seen in this rendition. Though perhaps the giant Omnic companion could be in the works next with the Ashe cosplay is now finalized. View this post on Instagram From Widowmaker to D.Va, be sure to check out more Overwatch cosplayers through her official Instagram account.

Overwatch cosplayer kicks it up a notch by animating Blackwatch Genji – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer kicks it up a notch by animating Blackwatch Genji Blizzard EntertainmentAn Overwatch cosplayer went the extra mile by having his Blackwatch Genji outfit animated in After Effects to make it look like it came right off the screen. Cosplayers are always looking for ways to stand out from their peers and create experiences that help them gain popularity in a fandom that’s become increasingly difficult to break in to. Enter VFX and motion graphics artist Kenson, who goes by Rikognition on Twitter. He was able to use a combination of blue screen technology, After Effects, and some really slick design work to bring JohnnyJunkers’ Blackwatch Genji to life. “For this one, I didn’t do it as detailed so I just used After Effects and it’s auto meshed puppet tool,” Rikognition said on Reddit. “Otherwise, I would normally use Spine2d and draw proper meshes and weight maps.” The goal of the animation was to make “IRL look like CGI,” as Kenson noted on his Twitter. The results have been going viral within the community, with the post currently sitting at 17.5k upvotes and near the top of the Overwatch subreddit. Making IRL look like CGI #overwatch #cosplay pic.twitter.com/HSJ1lVLCY0 — Kenson @ NAB (@rikognition) January 17, 2020 While JohnnyJunkers may have a modest following of 4,000 on Twitter, he is much more well known on Facebook where he currently has over 51,000 followers. Some of his more well known cosplays include Ultra Instinct Goku and Ryu from Street Fighter. The cosplayer is well known for his motivational posts on Facebook, especially those focusing on fitness as it relates to cosplay. His Goku post in particular detailed his process for working out to fit into the outfit. “Goals help a lot and I can’t wait to show you guys what I’m training towards next year,” he said in his post. He is currently working on an impressive Mega Man X cosplay that will be sure to wow audiences as well. There is no word yet on if he’ll team up with Kenson to make this one digital as well, but if he does, expect it to be just as epic as the Genji one.

Overwatch cosplayer is ready for Summer Games as adorable Honeydew Mei – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer is ready for Summer Games as adorable Honeydew Mei lynniequin, Blizzard EntertainmentMei has become one of Overwatch’s most recognizable faces, and one cosplayer has showed off her love for the icy DPS with this stunning Honeydew Mei cosplay. Overwatch’s resident snow queen, Mei, has won the hearts of countless players. While she looks adorable, her kit is deceptively powerful, making her quite the formidable opponent. Coming into the title’s highly anticipated sequel, the Chinese DPS has received a cosmetic overhaul, but some of her skins in the base title still remain her best. One of these is her Honeydew outfit, and this cosplayer has brought it into real life with a perfect recreation of the iconic skin. Overwatch Honeydew Mei cosplay Celebrating the summer in style with the iconic bubble tea themed skin, Twitch streamer and cosplayer lynniequin has transformed herself into the boba wielding DPS. Sporting that adorable green and yellow waitress-inspired outfit with the matching hat, lynnie is truly channelling her inner honeydew! To make things even sweeter, she’s also got a melon bubble tea on hand ready to serve. Every tiny detail is perfect – from the little winking fruits on her outfit to those satin white gloves, this cosplay brings Mei into the real world. This sentiment echoes the fan reaction, which lynnie told Dexerto “has been extremely positive! I’ve been getting numerous of comments that I actually bring Mei to life and that makes me very happy.” mei-ke sure you’re staying cool out there 🤍 pic.twitter.com/mphCBJxVZw — lynniequin (@LynnieQuin) July 17, 2021 Lynniequin loves how Mei dismantles stereotypes This isn’t her first time at the Overwatch cosplay rodeo, though. “I actually actively play Overwatch every night! I play community games with my viewers on Twitch typically on a Friday, as well. “In terms of cosplaying characters from Overwatch, this is my second hero, and D.Va being my first,” she told Dexerto. “However, this cosplay is inspired by my personal community because they were all aching for me to cosplay Mei, so there is a lot of gratitude towards my community!” Lynnie chose to transform into Mei for multiple reasons. “I always love to cosplay characters with Asian background,” she states. “And what I love about Mei is that she is not the assumed body type of an Asian woman.” Shattering stereotypes and taking names, she also wanted to channel Honeydew Mei as “it is a Summer skin from Overwatch and I wanted to get in the spirit and make sure people stay hydrated! Speaking of summery skins, Overwatch’s annual Summer Games have finally arrived, and Lynnie all hyped up. “I LOVE IT!” she writes. “I really adore Mei’s new skin and Ashe’s as well. They are all so fun and I can’t wait to try my luck with unlocking them!” We can’t wait to join her on that journey via Twitch, but equally we can’t wait to see what cosplay she chooses to pull off next. With Halloween Terror on the horizon, who knows, maybe we’ll see a spooky Shin-Ryeong D.Va cosplay!

Overwatch cosplayer is feeling festive as Christmas themed Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer is feeling festive as Christmas themed Mercy Instagram: polaris.co / Blizzard EntertainmentA cosplayer from Instagram is bringing the festive spirit to Overwatch this December with their fantastic rendition of Mercy reimagined into some stunning Christmas scenery, merging to two worlds perfectly. Overwatch’s super-detailed cast of characters has seen fans across the globe fall in love with the varying personalities, and their backstories. And with each fighter having their own set of unique abilities, the possibilities as far as cosplay is concerned are practically endless. And with the festive season well and truly underway, even more opportunities have opened up for talented cosplayers to flex their costume (and Christmas decoration) skills for their followers. Cosplayer polaris.cos on Instagram decided to try remodelling support hero Mercy into a beautiful Christmas scene, and has certainly done a fantastic job with it. Their wig by fuwa_baka is sculpted into Mercy’s classic style, the blonde locks pulled into thick blonde sections that give the illusion of being animated. This is topped with the headpiece that follows the structure of the hair, and accurately mimics Mercy’s design. View this post on Instagram Things take a Christmas themed turn with their outfit, a velvet red dress with fluffy white trims to mimic Santa’s clothes, with a knitted scarf over the top to add more of a wintery feel. The outfit ties in great with Mercy’s original design. The background is like something out of a Christmas movie, with a stunning tree dusted with snow, and full top to bottom with beautiful decorations, and even presents underneath. View this post on Instagram And of course, keeping in with Mercy’s original look, polaris.cos has wings clipped to their back, the yellows and whites perfectly tying into the warm colors of the Christmas scene, and making for a brilliant cosplay. This cosplay will certainly have Overwatch fans in the festive spirit, and polaris.cos definitely managed to pull off the concept with stunning accuracy.

Overwatch cosplayer is cute but deadly as fully kitted D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer is cute but deadly as fully kitted D.Va Instagram, @nikorucos / Blizzard EntertainmentThe Overwatch and cosplay communities are no stranger to D.Va, or Hana Song, but a cosplayer named ‘nikorucos’ has still done the MEKA pilot and Starcraft gamer absolute justice with a new look. As far as cosplay inspiration goes, D.Va is an obvious top candidate. A former Korean pro gamer, a pink MEKA pilot and an avid enthusiast for soda and chips, Song is practically an unrivaled juxtaposition of gaming, pop and anime culture. And, for cosplayers, D.Va also presents a ton of versatility. Like Metroid’s Samus Aran and “Zero Suit Samus,” Song essentially takes on two forms: there’s her MEKA (which is named Tokki) and then there’s the pilot herself, who ejects and becomes a pistol-wielding “Baby D.Va,” as she is affectionately known. In Niko’s case, she decided it was time to go for what is now a classic cosplay: Baby D.Va, rocking the character’s original colorway, complete with pink makeup, headset, pistol, gloves and, of course, the multicolored body suit. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMDOEhLr_KW/ Originally, Niko intended on delighting fans with an intense Scathach cosplay — referencing a lancer, inspired by Irish mythology, in the anime Fate/Grand Order. But that look can feel a lot harder to pull off since it requires a large red lance and accompanying red hair. So, instead, Niko opted for D.Va, explaining the thought process behind her decision to switch outfits: “I hated how I look so D.Va will have to do for now, sowwy for the basic cosplay.” It seems that she has no reason to apologize, as fan comments center around one adjective for this look: “cute.” View this post on Instagram That cuteness, along with gaming inspiration, seems to be a running theme with Niko’s cosplays, as evidenced by her Annie, the Dark Child cosplay from Riot Games’ League of Legends. While fans of the Fate/Grand Order anime will look forward to the Scathach look, the community devoted to Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch title seems delighted by this D.Va outfit. And, as a general moral of the story for cosplay enthusiasts, it seems that being “basic” is not a problem as long as you make it cute (and, pistol-in-hand, deadly).

Overwatch cosplayer shoots for a new high score with insane genderbend D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer shoots for a new high score with insane genderbend D.Va Blizzard Entertainment, Twitter: omg_juniOverwatch’s iconic Korean tank, D.Va, has become a favorite for cosplayers everywhere, but one artist has put an awesome new spin on the classic baby D.Va with this insane cosplay. Even if you’ve never played a game of Overwatch, you probably will recognize fan-favorite Korean idol, D.Va. From competitive to casual, she’s dominated the meta since her introduction to Blizzard’s flagship FPS. Not only is she a popular pick in the virtual sphere, but in reality too. Cosplayers everywhere have tried their hand at bringing the character to life, with even the likes of pop sensation Halsey jumping on the bandwagon. Despite all of these amazing cosplays, though, we’ve never seen anything quite like this one from omg_juni, and we are loving it. Overwatch fan creates D.Va cosplay with a twist Just Juni has put his own spin on the Korean idol by creating an amazing genderbend cosplay that blends both baby D.Va and her MEKA into one. Sporting baby pink armor and with a cobalt blue base, he’s perfectly fused D.Va’s staple jumpsuit with the mechanical plating of her mechanical comrade. That cheeky little bunny logo is right in the center of the breastplate, and he’s got those cheeky little cat-like whiskers to accurately transform his complexion into D.Va’s. What makes this cosplay so perfect, though, is his attitude. With equal amounts of ‘don’t mess with me’ and cuteness, Juni has absolutely nailed her feisty but fun personality. Juni opened up to Dexerto about his Overwatch cosplay career, noting that “I have been playing Overwatch since the day it came out and I have been genderbending Overwatch characters for the longest time.” This cosplay, though, has been his “most comfortable one to wear, since it is a bodysuit and I built everything on top of it. I made everything in paper and everything is foam!” Additionally, he shared some behind-the-scenes images of the cosplay coming together and urges fans who want to learn more about the cosplay process to give his Instagram tutorials a follow. Don’t you love it when a plan comes together? As Juni continues to transform hyper-feminine characters into amazing genderbends, we can’t wait to see who he does next – Sombra maybe?

Overwatch cosplayer hits the road with amazing D.Va x Green Lantern mashup – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer hits the road with amazing D.Va x Green Lantern mashup Blizzard Entertainment/@eksys_/InstagramOne cosplayer has come up with quite the unique mashup, combining Overwatch’s D.Va, Green Lantern, and giving it a street racer flair on top of that. When it comes to Overwatch heroes, D.Va and her giant pink MEKA Toki are probably as close as you can get to a street racer and her ride, so cosplayer ‘eksys_‘ on Instagram decided to replace the mech with their own Chevy Camaro. It’s not just any regular old sports car either, the whip is done out in a Green Lantern paint job which could have inspired eksys to add the superhero into the cosplay as well. View this post on Instagram The D.Va suit is custom done in green and black, along with the lantern logo dead center. The superhero doesn’t really match Hana Song, as his ability to bend light is probably closer to Symmetra or Echo. Oddly enough though, this cosplay just works. It’s not like everyone has a giant mech laying around to use as a prop, so the idea to build around an already sick-looking car is pretty ingenious. With a little background replacement, eksys was even able to transport herself to several Overwatch maps, and pull off D.Va’s poses to a T in the process. View this post on Instagram Sadly, an Overwatch and DC Comics crossover event to make this skin possible probably won’t be happening anytime soon, and on top of that D.Va didn’t get a new skin for this year’s Lunar New Year event (though there is a new highlight intro for her). So, it looks like we’ll have to make do with cosplays and other fan-made skin ideas until Archives, which usually gets going in March, for our next best chance at getting an actual, new in-game skin for the tank. As long as the cosplays keep looking as good as this though, time should fly right on by.

Overwatch cosplayer hits the beach as incredible female lifeguard McCree – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer hits the beach as incredible female lifeguard McCree Instagram/nowigetaholiday/Blizzard EntertainmentAn Overwatch fan took one of McCree’s most popular skins and added her own touch in what is one of the most unique cosplays the game has had to offer. McCree’s Lifeguard skin is already extremely popular, with the ripped cowboy now wearing a straw hat, swim trunks, a towel for a poncho, flair gun and flipflops in place of his standard skin attire and weapon. Cosplayer ‘Nowigetaholiday’ decided to flip the beloved skin on its head with a gender-based twist – and the result is fantastic. Going full-on Baywatch, the cosplayer opted for a one-piece, red lifeguard swimsuit as a feminine alternative to McCree’s shirtless ensemble. However, the rest of her cosplay is nearly identical to the skin it’s based on. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz36j-lDbya/ Nowigetaholiday’s take included his sandals, flair gun, hat and towel. She even went out of her way to incorporate two key elements that really make the skin stand out. First, the belt buckle that normally reads “BAMF” (bada** motherf**ker) has been replaced with “SAMF.” It’s a nice little touch, but keeps the cosplay authentic. Next, and this is probably the impressive part of the outfit, the robotic arm. While McCree is one of the least cybernetic heroes in Overwatch, his left arm is completely robotic. https://www.instagram.com/p/BzrJXYRlCRM/ It’s unclear if whoever designed McCree was a big fan of Star Wars and robotic arms, but the cosplay perfectly recreated the piece, completing the ensemble. This isn’t the first special skin cosplay that Nowigetaholiday has done, either; she’s also cosplayed as Magician Symmetra, Pirate Ana and Los Muertos Sombra. Fans looking to get their hands on the McCree Lifeguard skin themselves can do so as part of the Anniversary event, but if you miss out, you’ll be able to try your luck again once the Summer Games kicks off a few months later.

Overwatch cosplayer heals her teammates as stunning Winged Victory Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer heals her teammates as stunning Winged Victory Mercy Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: @faid_eyren_cosplay / @miadema.cosplay.ph[jwplayer MDxzN19r]An Overwatch cosplayer went viral after transforming into the healer hero Mercy. The artist’s mind-blowing portrayal brings the character’s popular Winged Victory skin to life with incredible detail. Overwatch made its debut in 2016, and instantly became a classic in the team based first-person shooter genre. Players connected with its Pixar-esque art style, and its colorful and diverse cast of characters. Overwatch cosplayer brings Mercy to life Mercy is one of the most played Support characters in Blizzard FPS, as she can use her Valkyrie to fly to her opponents and heal them with her Caduceus Staff. The Swedish doctor originally went by Dr. Angela Ziegler, before joining Overwatch. Cosplayer ‘Faid Eyren‘ transformed into the heroine, re-creating her legendary Winged Victory skin which was released during the 2017 Summer Games event. Photographer ‘pugoffka_sama‘ captured the artist posing with her signature pistol and staff. Faid absolutely nailed every single intricate detail of the iconic skin, from the gold bands on her legs and arms, to the green laurel wreath on her head. The jaw-dropping backdrop in the picture looks exactly like the Ilios Ruins map, truly bringing the cosplay to life. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3FxVVGDT3D/ In another close-up shot, the incredibly skilled cosplayer shows off how much work went into capturing the look of the healer hero. She perfectly depicts the character’s blonde parted hair, while mirroring her striking blue eyes. The amount of details on her costume – such as her patterned head piece and spiraling wrist guards – is breathtaking. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2p6Sr-DpGL/ As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the artist also faithfully portrayed Mercy’s signature Resurrection stance. Overwatch cosplayer celebrates Halloween early as spooky Will-O-Wisp Tracer – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer celebrates Halloween early as spooky Will-O-Wisp Tracer Instagram: @nonbinate / BlizzardHalloween is fast approaching, and a talented cosplayer named M Blackburn wanted to get into the spirit of things early by transforming themselves into Will-O-Wisp Tracer from Overwatch. Overwatch is known for having many incredible skins. However, Tracer’s Will-O-Wisp skin, which turns her into a ghoulish figure with blueish-green skin based on folklore is considered one of the best in the game. It was released as a part of the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2019 event and has been a popular choice ever since. It’s become iconic within the cosplay scene, too. But none have done it better than M Blackburn. M Blackburn, also known as nonbinate on Instagram, has dished up dozens of phenomenal cosplays throughout the years. But their take on Will-O-Wisp tracer truly has it all. The outfit, the skin, and even the hair are all on point. They also shared the cosplay on Overwatch Subreddit, where it blew up with more than 5,000 upvotes and earned them endless praise. “I always get comments like it isn’t Halloween season,” said M Blackburn. “Halloween is a MINDSET!! And it is one I maintain all year!” And they certainly captured the spirit well with this jaw-dropping piece. View this post on Instagram M Blackburn said the cosplay was probably their favorite one yet. They credited @thepicwitch for their incredible photography and @opalescentteacup for creating the armor. But they also wore it well and made it their own. If you’d like to support M Blackburn and stay in the loop with their latest work, you can find a link to all their socials by clicking here.

Overwatch cosplayer hacks the system as stunning Sombra – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer hacks the system as stunning Sombra @foxrot_/Instagram/BlizzardSombra has been one of the most controversial heroes since she was introduced into Overwatch in 2016, but there’s nothing up for debate when it comes to one of the best cosplays for the hacker that we’ve seen yet. Her ability to hack other heroes and prevent them from using any abilities has been annoying non-Sombra mains from day one, but that hasn’t stopped her from being one of the most popular characters to cosplay. Despite there being plenty of examples to draw on from the last few years, very few IRL Sombra’s are able to reach the level that the stunning cosplay from ‘foxrots_’ managed to pull off. Sombra might seem like a simple hero to cosplay – just throw on some purple lipstick and you’re good, right? – but it’s the attention to detail that fox gave to every bit of this costume that really helps take it over the top. View this post on Instagram “Here I am…” ?? . I haven’t played Overwatch in forever! For my birthday, so many good friends gave me new video games to play and I have no idea which one to start with. What video games have you been playing lately? . ? by @xzurachi (minor edits by me) coat by @badjswim @badjgenato wig, makeup, gun and accessories by me! . . . #Sombra #sombraoverwatch #sombracosplay #Sombramakeup #overwatch #overwatchsombra #overwatchcosplay #casualsombra #casualcombracosplay #blizzardcosplay #blizzard #playoverwatch #cosplayfun #cosplaygirl #cosplayph #cosplay #cosplayphotography The hair (which is actually a wig) looks so good we’re betting you didn’t know it wasn’t real until we told you just now, or you read the caption, either way, it looks like it could have sprouted from the head of Sombra herself. Of course, the trademark purple lipstick is present, along with canonically-accurate eye makeup as well. Because really, what’s the point in hacking and driving the enemy team crazy if you can’t look good while doing it? The rest of the outfit is on point as well, from Sombra’s stylish streetwear jacket to her leggings, all the way out to her pink fingertips, just waiting for an enemy to hack. To make things even more impressive, if that’s possible, fox also made the wig, gun, and accessories herself. Even though she hasn’t played Overwatch in a while, it’s clear the cosplayer still has a soft spot for good ol’ Sombra. Even though we’re well into the fourth year of Overwatch, fans enthusiasm for the game shows no sign of slowing down, and with news about the highly anticipated sequel coming in 2021, we just might in for another flood of cosplays, which is just fine with us.

Overwatch cosplayer goes viral with epic Ultraviolet Tracer outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer goes viral with epic Ultraviolet Tracer outfit L: Blizzard R: gondoka50 – InstagramThis Overwatch cosplay of Tracer’s Ultraviolet skin might be the best one we’ve seen to date – it’s so accurate. The cast of Blizzard’s smash-hit FPS is very diverse and is constantly expanding, which means it opens itself up quite nicely to a whole selection of cosplay opportunities. With that said, cosplayers still tend to gravitate towards Tracer and D.Va the most, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Blizzard have supplied a wide variety of skins for each of the original heroes, so there are many different ways cosplayers can take the same character. Cosplayer gondoka50 took Tracer’s Ultraviolet outift and absolutely crushed it. For those who don’t know, this outfit takes the traditional skin and pretty much changes everything about it. One of the few things that would still be recognizable to players are the guns and goggles she wears on her head. However, if you are someone who appreciates this version of Tracer, then you’ll definitely find a lot to like here. https://www.instagram.com/p/B84IJ7aj06c/ It’s no secret that a good cosplay doesn’t happen overnight, and they will actually take plenty of time, some even taking months to perfect. Read More: How much money Reaper wastes on shotguns – In a Reddit thread where gondoka posted her design, she said she’s been working on it for about a year now. “I have been working on this cosplay off and on for about a year now, so it’s great to finally have it finished,” she wrote. “I am very happy with how it turned out.” While this Ultraviolet Tracer is her latest design, she’s been cosplaying for quite a while now. Some of her previous designs include Sora from Kingdom Hearts and even a few characters from Destiny 2. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6yuo2ojLl6/ With her Tracer cosplay now complete, she’ll now have her eyes set on something else in the future. If whatever’s next ends up being as good as her Ultraviolet design, then we’ll definitely be interested in checking it out, especially if it’s another Overwatch hero.

Overwatch cosplayer goes viral after taking a stand as stunning Ashe – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer goes viral after taking a stand as stunning Ashe Instagram: lil.batz / BlizzardOverwatch cosplayer Lil-Batz, also known as Jax, went viral on social media after standing in solidarity with women working at Activision Blizzard and transforming into a symbolic character, Ashe. All eyes have been on Activision-Blizzard after being sued for having a “pervasive frat-boy culture” involving the gross mistreatment of female employees. And after deeming the company’s response as “abhorrent,” employees decided to take a stand. However, they’re not the only ones rallying behind the cause. Streamers like Asmongold, Nmplol, and Preach have all taken a stand, and Overwatch League sponsors like Pringles and T-Mobile have been leaving, too. But that’s not all. Members of the cosplay community like Lil-Batz have been doing their part to stand in solidarity with the women of Activision Blizzard. And she figured the best way to do it was by transforming into a symbolic character like Ashe. “I made the decision to begin working on this cosplay in early 2021. As I mentioned in one of the comments on the Reddit post I worked on Ashe’s rifle for 3 months,” she told Dexerto. “When deciding on whether or not to take my Ashe cosplay to con I felt that if I was going to cosplay a Blizzard character I needed to acknowledge the current situation at hand.” “As a female cosplayer and gamer, I felt that it was the least I could do. Not only to show my support and solidarity but to take a stance. I am a part of a Women Overwatch group on Facebook and they gave me the encouragement to make the sign and wear my recently-finished cosplay to con.” In addition to nailing every aspect of the costume, she posed alongside a sign she made to show her support. “We demand and need change for all women in STEM,” she said on Reddit. “Overwatch has recently become a big part of my life, and fundamental change is needed from this company.” View this post on Instagram The message she conveyed is part of the reason why it went viral. However, it’s also because she worked hard to make it look incredible. People were particularly impressed with the gun. “I spent three months sanding, priming, and painting [it],” she said. It’s moments like these that show how powerful cosplay can be. Lil-Batz used it as a means to express herself and her passion for the game, its characters, and cosplay in general. She doesn’t plan on stopping there with Overwatch either. Her next cosplay project is Mercy’s Witch skin, just in time for Halloween. “Halloween is my favorite time of the year and it is her favorite skin of mine. I am also a Mercy main so I felt the need to cosplay her for quite some time,” she said.

Overwatch cosplayer goes viral as sharpshooter Widowmaker – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer goes viral as sharpshooter Widowmaker Instagram: @supersailorvirgo / BlizzardA talented Overwatch has gone viral on social media after transforming herself into Widowmaker with an incredible home-made outfit. Overwatch’s heroes and villains all have interesting personalities and backstories. However, Widowmaker’s is particularly tragic. Once upon a time, she was married to an Overwatch agent who led operations against Talon. But eventually, she was kidnapped, tormented, and reconditioned into a deadly assassin. Her philosophy is “one shot, one kill,” and she uses a sniper rifle, as well as mines and gas, to eliminate her enemies. Widowmaker is the number one choice for players who fancy long-ranged combat. However, she’s popular among cosplays too, who are drawn towards her unique appearance and sinister beauty. Elle, better known as Sailor Virgo Cosplay, is one of those people. She has a whopping 45,000 followers on Instagram, and they can’t get enough of her magnificent repertoire of cosplays. For one of her latest pieces, she confessed her love for Widowmaker’s design and created her own cosplay from scratch using various materials, bodypaint, and contact lenses. It captured every detail, from the pink and purple outfit and skin to the massive sniper rifle, futuristic helmet, and neon-yellow eyes. “Introducing, the Overwatch assassin: Widowmaker,” she wrote. “I’ve always loved her design. It’s a little weird, I guess, to relate to an emotionless assassin… but she also used to be a ballet dancer – and like – same.” “So, maybe my next career path will be an Assassin? Do I need to have a degree in that, or maybe just a portfolio? Really proud of how this turned out, even though it’s not perfect! Hope ya like it!” View this post on Instagram If you rummage through the comments, you’ll see fans describe it as amazing, awesome, and incredible – and they’re spot on. It’s a fantastic piece from top to bottom, and she even managed to capture the overall assassin vibe in her expressions. All in all, Elle’s cosplay has already pulled around 4,000 likes, which is insane. People know an extraordinary cosplay when they see one, and they’ve stumbled upon an absolute gem with this piece.

Overwatch cosplayer goes viral after creating Mercy wings fit for flight – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer goes viral after creating Mercy wings fit for flight YouTube: Zibartas / BlizzardOverwatch cosplayer ‘Zibartas’ has once again stunned players with his incredibly detailed costumes, with his finalized Mercy wings going viral. The best part yet, they are basically fit for flight — barring a few biological barriers. Mercy is one of Overwatch’s most recognizable characters. The Swiss battle medic darts around the field thanks to the aid of her mechanical wings, keeping her allies topped up and on their feet. While many have made the wings out of foam or other materials for conventional cosplays in the past, Zibartas went one better. The Danish cosplay creator has created a fully-functioning set — minus the flying bit for now — to show off how Mercy’s wings could work in real life. 👐I finally finished my Mercy wings 😻😭All steel and aluminum!✨@PlayOverwatch @LuciePohlComedy #overwatchcosplay #mercy pic.twitter.com/cMY2K5diKx — Zibartas Cosplay (@zibartas) August 3, 2020 Zibartas has shared the progress of this build before. He started off with a metal frame, powering it with a motor to get it all working. Then, he added super bright LED lights to get it all shiny. Now, he’s put the final touches on to make it a bit easier to operate. It’s all polished up, the back “engine” with the motor is protected from the elements, and it’s ready for battle. “I finally finished my Mercy wings,” the Dane tweeted on August 4, seemingly somewhat relieved. Read more: Every new Overwatch Summer Games 2020 skin – All that the wings are really missing are a fresh lick of paint to try and get the same color scheme as Mercy’s original wings. The metallic silver doesn’t really fit the usually-white angel, but Zibartas can get a pass on this given the incredible amount of detail he’s put into this. They practically glow all day and night with super bright LEDs. The wings retract in and out like Mercy’s do when she darts around with Valkyrie and Guardian Angel. And after all, after shaving off some of the weight, he can now comfortably wear them for periods of time. It’s not the first time Zibartas has stunned the Overwatch community. His original set of Mercy wings were incredibly popular the first time they were shared around, but since then he’s made many improvements to get to this rendition. He’s also taken on creating Doomfist’s arm, again featuring his signature LED glows, as well as a full kit out for Soldier: 76 — mask, gun, and all. Now all that’s missing is a full outfit for Mercy — with Caduceus Staff and all — to show off. He could potentially pull it off too, given Mercy was canonically male during Overwatch’s early development. If it’s even half as good as the wings, our jaws would be on the floor.

Overwatch cosplayer gives Bastion a stylish new look – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer gives Bastion a stylish new look Blizzard / Instagram: renteicosplayBastion has long been one of the more underappreciated heroes on the Overwatch lineup, though the Omnic damage-dealer has been given new life once again thanks to one of the more original cosplays we’ve seen yet. While animators and Workshop engineers have been busy modifying Bastion in their own ways, others have been plugging away at their own creations. The Omnic character has barely seen any love from a costume-design standpoint over the years due to its purely mechanical form. However, that’s all changed thanks to a stunning costume designed by ‘renteicosplay.’ Instead of taking on more humanoid characters like Tracer or D.Va, this particular cosplayer jumped at the opportunity to appear as Bastion. With every part of the hero being completely robotic – save for its animal companion Ganymede – the design certainly came with its own unique challenges. Yet the creator, Ash, smashed through these challenges with a fully mobile Bastion cosplay ready for any convention. “I don’t see these too often,” Ash said upon sharing her authentic recreation of the Overwatch figure. She was more than up to the task of adapting Bastion’s design in such a way as to not be a literal tank in the real world. The build took “approximately three weeks” and gives Bastion a lightweight look with foam being the main material. From the weapon to the chest piece, essentially every component was made from foam to allow for effortless movement. Every detail of the default Bastion skin is translated over perfectly with the costume. Each point of articulation can be made out through the paintwork. The cosplay also carries a certain age with it. Edges are slightly rusted, giving off a dated look to the Omnic that was asleep for well over a decade. All the while, Ganymede is sat atop the left shoulder plate just like its in-game counterpart. Every minute detail has been taken into consideration. “The middle part even lights up,” Ash confirmed. https://www.instagram.com/p/B1ka214jCfz/ This isn’t to say that the design came without its limitations, however. The helmet unfortunately broke days before a big convention and the costume as a whole has since been retired. Ash has plenty of other stunning cosplays to fall back on though, including other unique picks from the Overwatch cast. Before Bastion came to be, she put a unique spin on Winston when bringing the world’s smartest gorilla to life. You can view all of her creative Overwatch cosplays directly on her Instagram page.

Overwatch cosplayer gets ready for Halloween as stunning Witch Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer gets ready for Halloween as stunning Witch Mercy Instagram: cosmicalumni / BlizzardStumped for Halloween costume ideas? Looking for some inspiration? One cosplayer has her plans already sorted, getting ready for the occasion with a stunning Witch Mercy cosplay. It’s October, which means Halloween is just around the corner. Spooky and scary cosplays are out in full force as everyone prepares to dress up come October 31. One fan-favorite every year is Witch Mercy from Overwatch. The resident Swiss medic has a Halloween skin in the game, where she drops the lab coat for a black and orange dress, capped off with thigh-high heels and a witches’ hat. It’s a popular choice within the Overwatch community to cosplay at this time of year, and with good reason. It fits right in with the Halloween theme. If you were looking for some inspiration to get your Witch Mercy cosplay going though, just take a look at what ‘cosmicalumni’ has done. The cosplayer has worn this costume to conventions a few times — namely at BlizzCon this time last year, which fell on Halloween. It’s a perfect recreation of the Swiss medic dressed up in her own Halloween costume, minus the Caduceus staff. From the perfectly tailored dress, to the amazingly manicured wings, every part of cosmicalumni’s cosplay looks straight out of Overwatch itself. She even created the little vital notebook that hangs from Mercy’s sash in the skin. Every little detail was accounted for, and cosmicalumni would definitely be the talk of the town if she was able to float around trick or treating this year. In preparation for next year though — where festivities will hopefully return — she might be able to have the Halloween-themed staff ready. “One day I’ll have my beautiful broom Caduceus staff,” she said in her latest post. View this post on Instagram For now though, cosmicalumni will be tied up with both her Star Wars and Overwatch-themed cosplays. She has stated she wants to create many more Mercy cosplays, so expect to see more of those if you are a fan of the Blizzard franchise.

Overwatch cosplayer gets ready for Halloween as a perfect Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer gets ready for Halloween as a perfect Mercy Activision-BlizzardHalloween is almost upon us, and cosplayers everywhere are preparing for the holiday. This Overwatch Mercy cosplay goes above and beyond when bringing this angelic healer to life and deserves some extra recognition. [jwplayer V7KFXiLn] When Overwatch came out back in 2016, there were only three healers, and Mercy was one of them. A lot has changed since then and there are a lot more Heroes, and the hero herself has seen quite a few changes. Despite this, she remains a fan favorite, especially for cosplayers. There are plenty of awesome OW cosplays out there, but Hanxiaoyue really brings her to life with the help of @Anka_Ephemere on Twitter. The two collaborate for a fantastic rendition with excellent photography and visual effects. Mercy cosplayer preps for Halloween Despite the fact that Witch Mercy is Mercy’s Halloween skin, Hanxiaoyue went with the Winged Victory skin with some extra spooky effects, and she nailed it. Starting with her hair, she puts her blonde hair in a ponytail and parts her bangs. It is held back by a golden crown with wing-like ear guards, just like in the cosmetic. To cap it off, she includes the fern-like plants behind her ears. For her attire, she dons a white tunic with gold embroidery held up with a brown rope. On her arms and legs, she wears bracelets. On her back, she has Mercy’s signature wings, modeled directly off of the skin. Then, there is of course the staff, which is perfect down to the last little leaf. https://twitter.com/Anka_Ephemere/status/1320275975674839044?s=20 If the cosplay itself wasn’t impressive enough, the graphic design that goes along with it really gives it life. @Anka_Ephemere includes two shots with Mercy on a dark and fiery battlefield, and then another two with her at what appears to be Ilios Ruins. The first two images are fitting for the hero, as she is a beacon of hope and light on the battlefield. The Winged Victory skin also based on the Goddess Nike and works well with the other images on Ilios, which is an Overwatch map based on Santorini in Greece. This is one of the most impressive Mercy cosplays out there, and Hanxiaoyue really brings the character to life along with @Anka-Ephemere’s photography and graphic design.

Overwatch cosplayer gets Play of the Game as perfect D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer gets Play of the Game as perfect D.Va Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: @hendoartAn Overwatch cosplayer made waves on Twitter after sharing her stunning transformation into D.Va. The talented artist shared her love for the character with a mind-blowing costume after BlizzCon 2020 was cancelled. [jwplayer MDxzN19r] Despite only releasing in 2016, Overwatch has already cemented itself as one of the most popular multiplayer shooters of all time. Players around the world have fallen in love with the title’s gameplay and cast of characters. Prolific cosplayer Sarah ‘Hendoart’ Hendo celebrated the game’s popular Tank hero, D.Va, by bringing her to life with an epic costume. The artist made waves after creatively showcasing her outfit she made for the now-cancelled BlizzCon 2020. Overwatch cosplayer’s BlizzCon 2020 D.Va costume First launched in 2005, BlizzCon has been a major event in the game’s industry for the last 15 years. Unfortunately Blizzard Entertainment’s annual event was cancelled this year, which has had an impact on many cosplayers who had made incredible costumes for the convention. Not letting her work go to waste, popular artist HendoArt shared her incredible D.Va outfit on Twitter. Creatively, she admitted in a tweet that she had gone to a Home Depot parking lot to shoot photos of her recreation of the Tank hero. “No BlizzCon this month so I shot DVa in a Home Depot Parking lot,” her post read. Hendo posed as D.Va while wearing her signature blue and white bodysuit. Her uniform is full of accurate details, from the bright pink trimming, to the bunny logo emblazoned across her chest. She also mirrored the Korean’s facepaint that sits under her eyes, while wearing the iconic headset over her ears. No BlizzCon this month so I shot DVa in the a Home Depot parking lot ✌ pic.twitter.com/1IfG8EYC2N — HendoArt (@HendoArt) November 18, 2020 Despite the makeshift photoshoot, the popular artist truly shines as the Overwatch heroine. If nothing else, the post is a good example of how an incredible cosplay can bring a character to life – regardless of the location that it is showcased at. While BlizzCon was sadly cancelled this year, fans of the developer still have a lot to be excited for in 2021. Overwatch 2, which was first announced at the annual event in 2019, is rumored to drop sometime in the coming months.

Overwatch cosplayer pulls off breathtaking genderbent Hanzo costume – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer pulls off breathtaking genderbent Hanzo costume Blizzard Entertainment / Instagram: CrunchyCupcakeGerman Overwatch cosplayer ‘CrunchyCupcake’ has stunned fans with an incredible genderbent Hanzo cosplay that looks exactly like the hero in-game. Pulling off a high-quality Hanzo cosplay is pretty difficult to start off with. From the custom bows, to having to make the gown from scratch, it can be pretty finicky to pull it off. Now, imagine trying to do that as a woman. Things can become ten times harder to keep authentic and true to the character. But, German cosplayer CrunchyCupcake has managed to pull off a perfect cosplay of Overwatch’s Japanese archer. Crunchy’s cosplay of the Overwatch hero looks like the archer just jumped off the training fields of Hanamura into real life. From head to toe, her costume design is finely detailed. She made omnic-style boots from scratch to walk around in, and crafted Hanzo’s mechanized right hand to hold her bowstring with. She even copied the archer’s tattoo over her left arm and chest. Her weaponry is immaculate. From the sapphire bow to the quiver, all of Crunchy’s clothes and props look like they were handed down the Shimura household. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Oysokorv7/ The clothes themselves can sometimes be a dealbreaker with trying to make a realistic cosplay, but Crunchy didn’t let that happen either. She made sure to stitch on the same markings as Hanzo had on his gown in-game, and crafted the same belt to hold her extra supplies in. The stunning level of detail that has gone into trying to make this genderbend cosplay look just as realistic is incredible. In fact, it’s probably safe to say that Crunchy pulls off the look better than most male cosplayers. She’s shown it off at a couple of conventions since debuting it in 2019, and is probably her most recognizable piece to her thousands of fans on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ys32_IvAI/ Crunchy doesn’t usually do genderbend cosplays, sticking to same-sex characters like Lux from League of Legends, or Overwatch hero Mercy. While her designs for other works are equally as immaculate, pulling off a genderbend cosplay is a lot harder. As for future genderbend designs, she hasn’t let any details loose, but there’s sure to be some male characters her fans would love to see her take on given the quality of her Hanzo cosplay — keep your eyes peeled.

Overwatch cosplayer fires shots as incredible real-life Ashe – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer fires shots as incredible real-life Ashe Instagram: _lexipro / BlizzardA remarkably talented Overwatch cosplayer has done an excellent job of recreating the game’s favorite gunslinger Ashe, looking as stunningly powerful as the popular character. Overwatch’s broad cast of characters with detailed backstories have captured the attention of fans across the globe. Each character has a unique personality with an equally individual aesthetic to go along with it, and this has proven to be excellent inspiration for many cosplayers. Ashe is one character who has inspired some fantastic costume recreations. The leader of the Deadlock Gang is a gunslinger who utilizes her sharp shot to deal damage to the opposing team, and certainly serves as a formidable foe. Her western-biker aesthetic has an effortless charm, though recreating it in real-life is certainly a huge feat, with some intricate aspects of the outfit that are difficult to match to the original. However cosplayer Lexi Pro did an insanely good job of putting herself in Ashe’s shoes – literally. Her knee-high boots are laced up with metallic string, a dazzling contrast to the dark black of the shoes. Her brown leather pants are topped with gold plates that add to the western style and have her looking ready for battle. View this post on Instagram Last day to sign up to my p/\treon!! Her silver hair is styled sleekly with a stunning flick at the end, which immaculately contracts her bright red lips and matching contacts. She even has Ashe’s mole dotted in the exact same place by her lip. View this post on Instagram “My names Ashe, we’re playing by my rules now.” Everyone please welcome my most annoying cosplay ever! The shipping, the things breaking just everything about this was so annoying but I’m actually really happy with how this turned out! Coming out this month on P/\treon!! The gun is the finishing touch, and makes this cosplayer look exactly like Ashe does in the game. This stunning recreation of one of the game’s popular characters has certainly been a resounding success, and has thoroughly impressed Overwatch fans.

Overwatch cosplayer drops Brigitte into Diablo’s fiery underworld – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer drops Brigitte into Diablo’s fiery underworld Instagram: Kamuicosplay / BlizzardBrigitte has descended into Blizzard’s hellish depths, with popular YouTuber ‘KamuiCosplay’ dropping the Overwatch hero into the realm of Diablo. Some cosplays are painstaking replications of what we see in our favorite video games. Though others take inspiration from multiple sources and bring the best of a few different worlds together. That’s exactly what KamuiCosplay did with her latest creation that’s taking the internet by storm. Combining Blizzard titles in a unique manner, she introduced Brigitte to the world of Diablo. Rather than simply changing her color palette or slightly altering the design, KamuiCosplay took on the challenge of inventing something completely original. What started with a piece of concept art from Zach Fischer was soon fleshed out into a complicated design that only a cosplayer with her degree of experience could ever put together. View this post on Instagram It’s an extraordinary costume that would turn heads at any convention. Not only is the original look something to behold, but the light-up effect flowing throughout adds another level to this demonic cosplay. From her knees, all the way up to the hairpiece, this version of Brigitte lights up with a dynamic effect. There are “over 1,000 individual LEDs” in total to help bring a unique vibrance that other cosplays simply can’t match. There is circuitry running through the entire costume to keep it alight. Each section is also animated to give off a more lively feel. As a result, there’s no surprise that it “takes quite some time to connect the armor,” as KamuiCosplay explained. “Everything has to be put on in the right order or else the costume wouldn’t work.” With more than a dozen pieces to fit in the right places and wires to hide underneath, it’s no small feat putting this Brigitte costume on. The custom facepaint is arguably the simplest part of the whole design. Yet even her simpler features still have phenomenal attention to detail. No stone was left unturned bringing Brigitte into the world of Diablo: this custom creation would fit right in if Blizzard ever decided to add some underworld heat to Overwatch with an inter-franchise crossover.

Overwatch cosplayer creates incredible bunny version of D.Va – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer creates incredible bunny version of D.Va Instagram: nymphahri / BlizzardFans of the game Overwatch and one of its most popular characters have been wowed by a talented cosplayer who did her own take on a bunny-themed D.Va to match her classic logo. Overwatch is popular not just for its action-based gameplay, but also for remarkably fleshed out cast of playable heroes, each with their own personalities, backstories, and special abilities. This makes them perfect for cosplayers to test their skills on. One stand out character of the bunch has been D.Va, former pro-gamer in Korea turned mech pilot. Her bright aesthetic and fierce battle skills landing her among some of the most popular characters in the game. Her signature logo is a pink and white bunny, and cosplayer nymphahri took this aesthetic to the next level by adapting D.Va’s regular skin into an adorable bunny version, looking every bit the part of the bright mecha pilot. Nymphahri’s leotard is an indigo blu, lines with a fluffy white trim, along with two cute bows attached to the top of each leg in D.Va’s usual pink color. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDJAOHDAbD/ Around her neck is a thick white necklace, another statement bow with the classic bunny cutout attached to the middle, the soft pink matching with the ribbons on her legs showing her acute attention to detail. And to top it off, attached to her headphones are two huge bunny ears that are again lined with white fluff, making her the spitting image of D.Va’s own logo. The stunning cosplay is a fantastic recreation, and will certainly reignite fans wish for an actual D.Va bunny skin in-game.

Wielding the iconic Viper shotgun in style, Kaito told us that the weapon was “3D printed,” but it looks pretty fearsome. Overwatch cosplayer blinks ahead with Tracer’s new look for Overwatch 2 – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer blinks ahead with Tracer’s new look for Overwatch 2 Instagram: TheCrayonThief / Activision-BlizzardOverwatch 2 is still a while away with no official release date in sight, but that didn’t stop a talented cosplayer from re-creating Tracer’s new look in the sequel, and it turned out great. Overwatch’s characters have incredible designs, and naturally, that means their cosplays are some of the best in the world. We’ve seen them all brought to life in astonishing detail, and each one is special in its own way. However, seven characters will have their appearances re-worked in Overwatch 2, with more expected to come later. It’s a welcome change since many fans feel like some of the current character models are outdated. Activision-Blizzard has outlined all the changes on their official website. Tracer’s new model is particularly exciting. The differences seem subtle at first. However, a closer look reveals a wealth of changes. In essence, they’ve switched her ‘retro’ look to something more modern. Her glasses have been replaced with a more combat-ready pair. They’ve also given her smaller gloves, a sleeker jacket, and a refined chronal accelerator. A talented cosplayer named Gustavo, better known as TheCrayonThief on Instagram, has been waiting for Overwatch 2’s release date to be announced like everyone else. However, he couldn’t resist and decided to create Tracer’s new outfit from scratch while he waits. “I was so excited to wear this cosplay at NYCC or Blizzcon,” he said. “However, thanks to Miss Rona, that didn’t [happen], and it ain’t [going to] happen for the foreseeable future. I’m trying to get myself motivated and upload more cosplay content.” View this post on Instagram Gustavo managed to capture all the new tweaks and improvements to Tracer’s outfit. It’s a detailed and well-polished piece overall, and his fans loved it. He also shared it on Reddit, and it was well-received on there too. Collectively, it’s racked up hundreds of likes across all platforms, and there’s no doubt it will continue to climb. All in all, it was an excellent job, and it’ll give Overwatch fans something to enjoy while they wait for the sequel.

Overwatch cosplayer shows off sharpshooting skills as incredible Ashe – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer shows off sharpshooting skills as incredible Ashe Blizzard / Instagram: @claireobscurecosplayFrench cosplayer Claire Obscure stunned Overwatch fans with her amazing take on Ashe, the notorious outlaw who leads the treacherous Deadlock Gang along with her trusty omnic sidekick, B.O.B. Ashe is one of the least popular heroes in Overwatch. Her pick rate is sitting at a measly 2% in the past six months. It’s a little surprising since her win rate is much higher at 51% percent, putting her in the top 10. But that doesn’t translate into the cosplay community. Ashe is, by far, one of the most cosplayed heroes. Look no further than some of the impressive cosplays we’ve covered from the likes of Melamori, Kaito, and Lil-Batz. Claire Obscure, a talented cosplayer from France who blew our minds with her phenomenal take on World of Warcraft’s Alexstrasza, has joined the ranks. She put together one of the best Ashe cosplays we’ve ever seen. Claire has captured all the important details, from the rustic combat gear to the wide-brimmed hat, red lipstick, to her primary weapon, The Viper. It thrives at long distances, making her an absolute menace in-game. View this post on Instagram Claire’s passion for the craft really shows in the quality of her cosplays. Overwatch cosplayer armors up with incredible Brigitte costume – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer armors up with incredible Brigitte costume Creating armor as impressive as Brigitte’s in Overwatch is no doubt easier in digital format than real life, but this cosplayer has absolutely nailed the look. Blizzard Entertainment’s online multiplayer game has built up one of the most creative communities in recent times, with a number of impressive hero concepts, sketches and more being shared online and having gone viral. While there’s always a plethora of different outfits and immaculate creations posted to the Overwatch subreddit, sometimes fans will also stumble across some amazing cosplays scrolling through their Instagram timelines as well – especially when users like Rita Tavares are posting. The up and coming Portuguese cosplayer shared a number of images to her profile over the festive period, in different phases. These phases included the creation, eventually wearing the cosplay and also posing just like Brigitte as well. For those who aren’t aware, Brigitte is just one of many support heroes included in Overwatch and is well-known for her strong armor, making her a useful addition to anybody’s team. This cosplay design has received thousands of likes across a number of posts on Instagram already, with numerous Overwatch fans chiming in with compliments. As seen below, the attention to detail for the armor, hairstyle, and of course the huge Barrier Shield recreation truly sets this apart. https://www.instagram.com/p/B68-_-gDb5G/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Here she can be seen creating the armor herself, or posing as such, but a few days earlier the cosplayer also revealed what the whole outfit looked like when put together. “I just finished the shield and wanted to show you guys pics with it as soon as possible,” Tavares posted on December 23, after collaborating with another cosplayer to bring the look to life. “Special thanks to @kerubyn_cos for all the hard work yesterday.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B6aU9CJjFbQ/ This is undoubtedly one of the most accurate Brigitte cosplays that were produced in 2019, but it’s not a standalone recreation of the character. There have been plenty of Overwatch fans trying to play the role of their favorite hero, including one that made an astonishing Brigitte shield for themselves, and we’re sure there will be much more like it doing the rounds on the internet in the future.

Overwatch cosplayer answers fan’s prayers as angel-like Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer answers fan’s prayers as angel-like Mercy Blizzard / Instagram: @lilya0oEveryone needs a guardian angel from time to time, and cosplayer Lilya ‘Lilya0o’ Victorovna answered her fan’s prayers and filled that role by transforming into Overwatch’s divine healer, Mercy. The Overwatch community are a passionate bunch, especially when it comes to the game’s heroes. It’s no surprise, then, that their passion trickles over into the cosplay world, too. After all, just about every Overwatch cosplay we’ve seen is as breathtaking as the next, and they always get a massive response. Ashe and Mei have been popular choices lately. However, Mercy has been a fan-favorite among cosplayers ever since the game was released back in 2016. And with so many unique looks and styles, it’s easy to understand why. LilyaOo is a superstar when it comes to cosplays. Not because she has a whopping 12,000 followers on Instagram. But because she puts her heart and soul into every piece, and her popularity on social media is symptomatic of that. She’s already rocked our world with stunning takes on League of Legends characters like Ahri and Soraka. And now she’s done it again, but this time, with an incredible take on Mercy from Overwatch. The outfit is on point, but the hair and make-up are truly out of this world. View this post on Instagram Her first post was so well-received, fans hoped and prayed she’d follow it up with another shot, and she didn’t disappoint! The second shot offers a closer look at just how accurate the cosplay is. The resemblance is uncanny. And the stunning photography from anastasia.komori really helps bring out the best in it. A magnificent job indeed. View this post on Instagram LilyaOo’s work is top-notch, and she’s always open to ideas and suggestions on what to do next. Truly a lady for the people. If you’d like to show your support and maybe even contribute towards one of her next projects, you can find a link to all her socials by clicking here.

Overwatch cosplayer always hits her mark as seductive Widowmaker – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer always hits her mark as seductive Widowmaker Mikomi Hokina, Blizzard EntertainmentOverwatch’s resident villainess and sniper magnifique Widowmaker has inspired cosplayers across the globe, but this cosplay snipes the competition in style. Overwatch’s Talon sniper and spider queen, Widowmaker, is the literal definition of femme fatale. Oozing seduction, the deadly one-shot-wonder is a cosplayer’s dream. We’ve seen one artist perfectly recreate the villainess’ iconic sniper rifle, while another chose to strut her stuff in the character’s Pale Serpent Lunar New Year skin. In an equally laborious process to her colleagues, Belgian cosplayer Mikomi Hokina has brought the character to life with her stunning cosplay, and it’ll blow your mind (not literally, thankfully.) Overwatch Widowmaker cosplay snipes the competition Telling Dexerto that she “decided to go for an Overwatch cosplay because it’s a game that my cousins play a lot and we’re rather close,” she decided on an Overwatch cosplay as “they know I’m a cosplayer and this is a good choice for some super awesome fanservice for them!” Opting for the Talon terror was an easy choice, as she describes Widowmaker as “simply amazing. From the design, the personality, to the complexity of the outfit, she is stunning. I love powerful characters, and she really has that lone bada** vibe that I cannot get enough of!” Plowing over 300 hours for work into the outfit, describing it as a “straight up 9/10 for me in terms of difficulty,” she notes that “it’s an ambitious one because regardless of the appearance. While there isn’t a LOT of big impressive armor parts, there is a lot of work and steps involved that you may not see at first. Many people neglect the bodypaint aspect too, which took about 6h every time I had it done” – and that was with the help of friend and MUA, Valeria Cosaria! The results, however, are absolute perfection. From that spectacular ebony ponytail snaking down her back, to her icy blue skin and veiny tattoos, literally every detail mirrors Blizzard’s original design. Sporting that iconic violet jumpsuit and, of course, the French sharpshooter’s Widow’s Kiss rife, we can’t get enough of Mikomi’s Widowmaker. View this post on Instagram While a full breakdown of the cosplay process will be dropping soon, she gave Dexerto a window into everything that went down behind the scenes. Calling the visor and rifle the “toughest part” of the cosplay, she states “the Gun is clearly what took the most time. About 200 hours of 3D printing, straight up 50 hours of sanding the pieces, glueing them together with double part epoxy, sanding again, countless layers of primer, painting and varnishing. “The result is extremely satisfying, and if I dare say, the best prop I have ever built? It weighs 7kg total and can be placed into Rifle mode OR Sniper mode! The barrel extends, the shrouds open, the scope snaps in place. It’s a very modular weapon allowing for a great surprising effect!” Continuing on to Widow’s iconic visor, she notes that “the headpiece was also 3D printed. Gems were moulded with colorant and epoxy resin. Two alligator pinches are glued to attach it onto the wig.” Both pieces are shown off in this stunning photo by MH Photography. View this post on Instagram This begs the question, however: will we see more Overwatch cosplays? While Mikomi has already taken to the streets as Ashe, D.Va, and Mercy, she has plans for a few more Blizzard-inspired pieces. “Tracer and Brigitte have already been shot, so those will be coming out in December 2021 and January 2022! I’m hyped to showcase them!” Considering this spectacular rendition of Widowmaker, we can’t wait to see Mikomi’s spin on both Tracer and Brig – especially the latter as she’s a stark contrast to anything we’ve seen before! Until then, though, keep your eyes peeled for a few more images of the French sniper queen on Mikomi’s Twitter!

Overwatch cosplayer hits a bullseye with amazing sharpshooter Ashe cosplay – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer hits a bullseye with amazing sharpshooter Ashe cosplay BlizzardMelamori, a talented cosplayer and prop maker, showed Overwatch fans a glimpse of her wild side by transforming into Ashe, the sharpshooting leader of the notorious Deadlock Gang. After hearing more news about Overwatch 2, including changes to Bastion, Mei, Sombra, and more, existing players are losing their minds in anticipation of its release. Cosplayers have been doing their best to keep everyone entertained while the expansion is waiting in the wings. Look no further than M Blackburn’s amazing Will-O-Wisp Tracer cosplay, or LilyaOo’s take on Mercy. However, Ashe cosplays have been all the rage in 2021. We’ve seen some incredible ones from the likes of Lil-Batz, Mercurygin, and Sarah Jane. Melamori’s latest take on the gunslinging hero was right up there with them. It’s got everything from her wild-west themed costume, including the brown leather belt, gloves, hat, pants, and vest, as well as the white shirt and red tie. She even went a step further and included the armor, bracelet, nail polish, and gun. Of course, being the perfectionist she is, she didn’t forget about the bright-red lipstick and white hair, either! Overwatch cosplayer flies into battle as angelic Atlantic Mercy – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer flies into battle as angelic Atlantic Mercy Instagram: @verachimera_x / BlizzardOverwatch players love to have a Mercy by their side, but little did they know they can see one in real life, too, in the form of professional cosplayer Vera Chimera’s stunning take on her Atlantic skin. There’s no doubt about it. Mercy is the most healing-focused support hero in Overwatch by a long shot. What she lacks in damage, she makes up for in healing output. Plus, she also has the ability to boost damage and resurrect allies, which is a godsend on the battlefield. Her traditional look is something between an angel and a doctor, which is no surprise given her role and abilities. However, players often like to add a little flair with some of her skins, especially the pristine-looking Atlantic Mercy skin. Forget about her usual white and gold attire. Atlantic Mercy is all about illustrious shades of purple, pink, and blue. It permeates everywhere from her top, skirt, and boots to her wings and staff – making her look like a majestic fairy queen. It’s always a special sight to see it in-game. However, professional cosplayer Vera Chimera went a step further and re-created it in real-life. Vera wore the outfit earlier in March during the Oz ComicCon OCC POP UP in Sydney. However, she hadn’t uploaded a proper picture until several weeks later. But the moment she did, she immediately captivated her fans and followers. View this post on Instagram The outfit is perfect from head to toe. It looks about as official as any Overwatch cosplay we’ve ever seen and captures all the important details in remarkable detail. Vera would have undoubtedly stolen the show at the event, and now she’s setting the internet on fire, too. It’s only a matter of time until it snowballs on social media and generates even more of a buzz!
