  • Overwatch cosplayer brings the cavalry with amazing Punk Tracer costume – Dexerto

Overwatch cosplayer brings the cavalry with amazing Punk Tracer costume Instagram: arorea / Blizzard EntertainmentAmerican cosplayer ‘arorea’ has won the hearts of Overwatch fans with an incredible Punk Tracer costume. Tracer is the poster girl of Overwatch. Even if you don’t play the Blizzard FPS title, you’ve bound to see her plastered around social media. The British DPS character is bright, bubbly, and loveable. However, some of her skins in-game show a bit of a different side to the gal most players know and love. Her Punk skin is arguably her most contrasting, but it’s a hit with fans. So when American cosplayer arorea took it on for herself, and nailed it, people came flocking. While the cosplay is one of arorea’s older designs — having first debuted in 2017 — it still remains one of her most popular, and it holds a “sentimental” place in her heart. It’s fair to say that it should hold a special meaning to her too. It was one of her bigger cosplay projects, and she pulled it off to perfection. Instead of just copying the cosmetic though, arorea added a few twists on the skin to make it her own. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-u9OW0DjTh/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link From the leather jacket to the chrono accelerator adorning her chest, arorea’s cosplay made Tracer look more like a force of evil than one for good. Her armguards were black and white, compared to the blues of the character’s original costume. She also muted a bit of the bright pinks and blues, putting in her own, darker aesthetic across the board. To top it off as well, she designer her own pulse pistols in a deep purple. Just because it doesn’t look like a splitting image of what players equip in-game, doesn’t mean it’s not amazing. In fact, arorea has taken the concept, and upped it to the next level. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3xb2oGja3r/ She has taken on other heroes in the Overwatch roster too. Her Brigitte cosplay looks straight off the battlefield with full armor, while her next “monster project” will be the mystical Atlantic Mercy skin. When she’s not cosplaying characters from Blizzard’s popular hero-based shooter, she takes on broader pop culture figures, including Gwen Stacy from Spiderman and Leia from Star Wars.

One Piece cosplayer sails the high seas as female Roronoa Zoro Instagram: sammyscosplay / Toei AnimationA talented One Piece cosplayer has shown off her incredible work with a special female take on one of the anime’s most recognizable characters, the bounty hunter turned pirate Roronoa Zoro. • One Piece cosplayer reels fans in with amazing Jinbe fish-man look – Dexerto

One Piece cosplayer reels fans in with amazing Jinbe fish-man look Michelle_Maka, Instagram / FunimationJinbe or “Knight of the Sea” is the tenth member of Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece, and Michelle Maka, an anime content creator, has embodied him in a 10/10 cosplay. Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man whose ultimate goal in life is to obtain peaceful coexistence between humans and his kind—making Maka’s cosplay choice not only aesthetically stunning, but socially topical as well. As an absurd character design, Jinbe has blue skin, red tattoos, and creme-colored, cloudlike eyebrows. He wears ornate Japanese kimonos, has two-toned black and webbed hands. Maka got it all right, even down to his infamous Buraikan (or Vagabond Drill) ability. Wrapped in the trademark orange kimono, accented with black and white symbols, Maka’s cosplay is a flawless take on Jinbe. She is missing his enormous heft and tusk-like teeth, but those can be forgiven since the rest of the ensemble is so immaculate. Most impressively, given how cleanly covered in blue she is, Maka noted on Twitter that this was actually her first time doing body paint. I’ve received so much love for this cosplay. Thank you everyone 💙💙💙💙 #ONEPIECE考察 pic.twitter.com/YeeMRaqMEF — 🤎𝓜𝓲𝓬𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓮 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓪🤎 (@michelle_maka) June 5, 2020 Further, the look is sharp and detailed, with a red lightning strike through her eye—portraying Jinbe’s scar. But she somehow managed to edit in the fish-man’s water-based Karate technique: the Vagabond Drill, which was popularly used in battles against infamous antagonists, Wadatsumi, and the Yonko Big Mom. In the spirit of true fan service, Maka also dropped the Whole Cake Island Arc Jinbe look: the same physical attributes, but with a beautiful yellow kimono accented by Jolly Roger pirate insignia while complemented by a red cape and green obi. Like many of One Piece’s characters, recreating Jinbe in the real world is a tall task. A fictitious, fantastical character with eclectic design, Maka makes do with human constraints and fulfils his character perfectly, with a steely gaze and attention to detail that makes his large size and fangs entirely unnecessary. This is blowing up so I’ll drop Whole cake as well. Thank you again for the love 💙💙💛💛 pic.twitter.com/cono3l7355 — 🤎𝓜𝓲𝓬𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓮 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓪🤎 (@michelle_maka) June 5, 2020 There are no sideburns or goatee, either, but that’s hardly noticeable when the rest of her getup feels so true to life. Purple lipstick in lieu of the fish-man’s sharp teeth is a personal choice, but it fits cleanly and evokes a certain amphibiousness that is so critical to making this an unforced reimagination of a difficult-to-replicate character. Maka’s Jinbe cosplay is as good a reminder as any that you don’t need to recreate the minutiae of a character to embody them, you can put your own spin on a look as long as you lock in some core details.

  • One Piece cosplayer sprouts into perfect duplicate Devil Child Nico Robin – Dexerto

One Piece cosplayer sprouts into perfect duplicate Devil Child Nico Robin Instagram: CarryKey / Viz MediaOne Piece’s Nico Robin might be able to sprout duplicates of herself in the show, but CarryKey managed to bring the character to life in the real world with a spectacular cosplay. It’s hard to find an anime that has stood the test of time better than One Piece. It premiered back in 1999 and has since aired more than 980 episodes, and its popularity is still going strong long into Season 20. Nico Robin is one of the most popular characters in the show. Ever since she was first introduced as an antagonist, she became a popular choice among cosplayers, and it soared even higher after she joined the Straw Hat Pirates. Despite being an archaeologist and a historian, she is a powerful member of the team. Her abilities are further enhanced by the Flower-Flower Fruit, which allows her to sprout replicas of her limbs and even her entire body. Cosplayers are still showing her some love after all these years, but who could do her more justice than CarryKey. She recently blew up on the internet with an explosive take on Jinx from League of Legends. And now she’s done it again. The costume she’s wearing, which mastercosplay555 created, captures all the vibrancy and detail in her flowery blue crop top and pink sarong. Of course, she added her own twist with the hair, make-up, sunglasses, and handbag to pull it off perfectly. View this post on Instagram Her fans loved it so much, she followed it up with another set of photos where she photoshopped multiple arms to make it look like the Flower-Flower Fruit’s unique duplicate ability. “How are you dealing with the heatwave? • Fan-favorite One Piece characters brought to life with NSFW cosplay – Dexerto

Fan-favorite One Piece characters brought to life with NSFW cosplay Toei AnimationOne Piece has a large cast of characters for cosplayers to give their renditions on, and one of the latest interpretations uses a low-budget NSFW design to incredible effect. As many know, cosplayers use every trick in the book to bring characters from anime, movies, video game, and more to life. While some artists incorporate everything from intricate lights, textures, effects, etc, others tend to do more by putting on a lot less. In a revealing cosplay, one fan created a hilarious way to get the best out of longtime series mainstay Boa Hancock as well as main protagonist Monkey D. Luffy in an impressive 2-for-1 design. Using just a thong, straw hat and ample paint, popular cosplayer ‘Low Cost Cosplay’ was able to recreate some of the most iconic characters from the entire series. The cosplayer painted on Luffy’s red shirt using a similar color that came down from both shoulders across either side of his torso and completely down both arms. He did the same with Luffy’s blue pants and yellow sash belt. To make the cosplay easier, he’s only wearing the blue thong to paint over, but a bit of precision posing was necessary for the second part of the fit. The cosplayer must have had some help from someone else since he has painted an intricate Boa on his back side. Though for Boa’s most prominent features, he instead used his rear end to give his portrait of Boa the appropriate proportions. When it comes to committing to the cosplay, Low Budget Cosplay actually does a great job in making sure his work isn’t compromised. The final shot of his dual-paint job shows him slightly crouched. Even though there are cosplayers who invest tons of time and resources to make the best cosplay they can, Low Cost Cosplay shows there’s an art to keeping things simple.

  • Ominous Overwatch cosplay shows the dark side of Moira and Mercy – Dexerto

Ominous Overwatch cosplay shows the dark side of Moira and Mercy Blizzard Entertainment/frau_hakuTwo Overwatch cosplayers have done a fantastic job of bringing Moira and Mercy to life in a chilling scene that will have fans in awe. Ever since Moira came out all the way back in November of 2017, she’s been a favorite subject of Overwatch cosplayers. Mercy has always been one of the top choices for the game’s fans to dress up as too, but cosplayers frau_haku and melamori.cosplay took their Moira and Mercy to the next level. Frau posted a series of photos on Instagram showing them as Moon Moira, and melamori as Atlantic Mercy in a ruined building. Details on both of the costumes are masterfully done, which makes sense since frau_haku has cosplayed as Moira before. View this post on Instagram Melamori’s Mercy cosplay is no slouch either and looks just like the in-game skin, which unfortunately was only available for a limited time during the 2019 Overwatch League season. The images almost seem like they could be a storyboard for some kind of Overwatch show or movie, what they’re saying is anyone’s guess, but the situation doesn’t seem to be going in Mercy’s favor. On January 20 frau posted the final image of the series, which capped things off with Moira dispatching Mercy in a way that probably feels worse than getting killed by her orb around a corner. View this post on Instagram The set is so good it gives the official Blizzard-commissioned Opera Brigitte cosplay to celebrate the Lunar New Year event a run for its money. Frau_Haku isn’t just an Overwatch cosplayer – she’s also been known to create outfits from games like The Witcher 3, Resident Evil, and more.

  • Nightmare-inducing Destiny 2 cosplay reimagines Eris Morn as a Titan – Dexerto

Nightmare-inducing Destiny 2 cosplay reimagines Eris Morn as a Titan One avid Destiny fan has brought Eris Morn to life in an exceptionally unique way by reimagining the legendary Guardian as a Titan. While Eris Morn may have led her fireteam into the depths of the Moon to face Crota long before the events of The Dark Below, she is by no means a Titan. This uniquely twisted cosplay however, showcases just how the former Bladedancer could look as a menacing Titan instead and the results are astounding. From the bright shimmer of her Hive eyes to the black substance that flows from beneath the material, every minuscule detail has been taken into consideration. The Titan armor features the enormous shoulder pads the class has become known for, as well as numerous bright spikes emerging from the elbows and forearms. A beefy Exotic Machine Gun, the Thunderlord, is also on display as the Eris Morn Titan is shown wielding one of the most devastating arc weapons in known history. Not the only Destiny-themed cosplay that the creator has focused his efforts on, a plethora of marquee Exotic weapons have also been designed from scratch. From a devilish looking Bad Juju to a Year-One Red Death and even a Touch of Malice to boot, there’s no denying that this arsenal of rare weaponry could come in handy for all sorts of Destiny costumes. Additionally, various other forms of armor have been designed so that the creator can personify numerous characters from the franchise. Uldren Sov is one particular figure that the cosplayer embodies on occasion, donning the typical blue facepaint to mimick the Awoken race. While Eris Morn is dedicated to fending off threats that emerge from the Moon, there’s no denying that it would be an extraordinary sight to see the legendary character in heated battle like the old times. Destiny just launched on the brand new Google Stadia so fans will be able to access the title in more ways than ever before, but is the new platform any good? Here’s our review roundup.

Mokunachoi was able to perfectly nail Beauvoir’s look, as much as she was able to, at least, without turning into the goliath-class machine lifeform itself. The cosplay is packed with little details such as the miniature androids draped around her body and the helmet. When positioned side-by-side with the game model, it’s hard to spot a single area where the cosplay differs from the source material. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-cX_tcjAQ3/ A video of the cosplay, which included a dance to the music from the game went viral after it was posted to Twitter, racking up over 800,000 views and nearly a 100,000 likes in just two days. “Thank you guys for the overwhelming support!” the cosplayer replied in the comments. “I’m so happy to see a lot of Nier fans out there!” Here is a little vid of what the back looks like and how I kinda walk with the cosplay! 🤖✨#NieRAutomata #NieR pic.twitter.com/seXVCa14mR — Christine Choi 🐉 3D Comms : Waitlist OPEN ✨ (@mokunachoi) August 10, 2020 Given the work put into this outfit, there’s no telling what other cosplays Mokunachoi could have up her sleeve in the future, but we have a sneaking suspicion that it’ll turn out fantastic. If this Beauvoir outfit is any indication, then she could be one of the next up-and-coming cosplayers to keep an eye on.

  • NieR Automata cosplayer perfects 2B with insane effects and props – Dexerto

NieR Automata cosplayer perfects 2B with insane effects and props Sayathefox / Square EnixMore photos have been released of cosplayer ‘Sayathefox’ as NieR: Automata’s protagonist, 2B, and they are absolutely mesmerizing. “Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle…and wonder if we’ll ever get the chance to kill him.” NieR: Automata’s 2B is a quiet but pensive protagonist and, much as the god who she believes has blessed us with the mystery of life, Sayathefox and photographer ‘Gemini’ have blessed us with an incredible recreation of 2B—complete with settings and props from the popular action RPG. From the accurate depiction of 2B’s outfits to the immaculate details of the pod she interacts with, this cosplay is as neatly devised a piece of art as one could possibly hope for from a cosplay. In the photos shared by photographer ‘Gemini,’ 2B is seen posing for alternative cover art, interacting with her trusted pod and seated atop one of the large swords, amidst an apocalyptic backdrop, that players can elect to use in the game. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-w-JL4oZSw/ NieR: Automata is the 2017 sequel to Square Enix’s original NieR title of 2010, itself a spin-off of the Drakengard series. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future in which humans utilize androids for a proxy war against alien-created machines. 2B is the thoughtful protagonist whose looks have spawned tons of fans and imitators. Rocking platinum hair and a rarely removed military visor, 2B’s look is unique on the battlefield—with black leather outfits, ornate white dresses and accompanying thigh-high stockings providing a sharp juxtaposition against the outfits we find war typically littered with. Wanna share some pictures I took some weeks ago of the amazing @Sayathefox ☺️❤️ as 2B#NierAutomata #2b #cosplay pic.twitter.com/hGksfKhoBF — Gemini (@DasGemini) May 17, 2020 It’s no wonder that cosplayers have flocked to 2B’s side since the game’s release, but Sayathefox’s team have set themselves apart by utilizing the contrast provided by the game’s setting and props. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTOT0QfjX2C/ Her dress was crafted by ‘Shalizaa’ and wig by ‘HadoukenWorks,’ while the photography, lighting and editing were all handled by Gemini. She credits Ilya Dykov for creating the artwork that served as inspiration for the shoot’s most dramatic shot. While Sayathefox deserves credit for embodying Square Enix’s badass female protagonist, her whole team should be applauded for taking the look to another level.

  • NieR Automata 2B cosplayer crosses into the Mushroom Kingdom with Peach fusion – Dexerto

NieR Automata 2B cosplayer crosses into the Mushroom Kingdom with Peach fusion Nintendo, Mads_five, Square EnixA cosplayer combined the fantastical worlds of NieR Automata and Mario with their incredible 2B and Princess Peach cosplay costume. PlatinumGames and publisher Square Enix introduced the world to 2B in 2017 with the launch of NieR Automata, yet the character has already become quite the cultural phenomenon. 2B-inspired cosplay often makes the rounds, for instance. And it seems as though NieR fans will never run out of figurines to collect and fan art to ogle. But what happens when the colorful influence of Super Mario rubs off on NieR’s dystopian design style? Magic happens, apparently. Cosplay combines Princess Peach 2B from NieR Automata Cosplayer Mads_five recently took to Twitter to share photos of their latest work, which sees 2B borrow fashion tips from the Mushroom Kingdom. The outfit in question bridges the gap between 2B and Princess Peach, complete with stylish pink getup. Mads_five’s Nier Automata cosplay turns 2B’s usually all black uniform hot pink and adds lighter tinted accents. Notably, this Princess Peach-inspired design further invokes the Mushroom Kingdom ruler by replacing 2B’s white hair with Peach’s blonde locks. In a subsequent Twitter post, Mads_five revealed she sewed the costume herself from a pattern by cosplay designer Stella Chuu. Suffice it to say, the pair created nothing short of a magical look for the 2B/Princess Peach crossover. The stylish cosplay crossover between the two franchises comes at the perfect time, given the recent announcement of NieR Automata’s Nintendo Switch port. Switch players can finally get their hands on the acclaimed title on October 6. Its physical release will come in the form of The End of YoRHa Edition, which boasts all previously released NieR Automata DLC.

  • Nerf this incredible Overwatch cosplay that brings D.Va to life – Dexerto

Nerf this incredible Overwatch cosplay that brings D.Va to life Overwatch cosplays often stand out due to their enormous scale while maintaining even the most minuscule detail, however this Palanquin D.Va costume is sure to steal the show for dedicated Tank players. Certainly not the easiest character to properly cosplay from the whimsical world of Blizzard’s hero-shooter, D.Va typically provides a unique challenge due to the sheer enormity of her mech. Not to mention all of the effort that is required in simply creating D.Va’s own unique attire. Taking the steep task in stride however, this crafty creator has ramped the difficulty up yet another notch in realizing D.Va’s Lunar New Year skin variant. Available throughout the annual Lunar New Year festivities in Overwatch, an event that traditionally runs from the end of January through to the middle of February, D.Va’s Palanquin skin is a flashy Legendary cosmetic. One of nine Legendary unlocks for the Korean hero, the Lunar New Year overhaul drastically alters the appearance of both D.Va and her mech. With tassels hanging from the top and unique engravings along legs of the explosive combat armor, there’s a great amount of charm to the vanity item. Setting out to recapture every minuscule detail of both the mech suit and the accompanying blue and pink D.Va outfit, ‘kekkuda’ brought a full-scale rendition of the costume to life. Throughout the course of a few months slowly chipping away at the build, each aspect of the cosplay has been intricately crafted to piece together a truly authentic Overwatch costume. View this post on Instagram Having to walk on stilts to authentically capture the towering height of the mech costume, there’s no denying that the creator is dedicated to their craft. Outlining some of the difficulties that plague the hefty cosplay today, they underscored how the weight of the mech itself is what proves to be an annoyance when wearing the suit for long periods of time. “I originally intended to install a counterweight for the sake of balance but the top of the mech is so heavy that I had to reduce weight as much as possible,” they explained. Indicating that the build if very much still a work in progress despite the polish we see today, kekkuda seems set on making a few adjustments so that the mech suit can be carried around more efficiently. “I’m hoping to give the mech a lighter internal gram and rebuild the harness based on those military-grade backpacks so that it doesn’t take such a harsh toll on my back.” While most D.Va cosplayers often opt for a lone costume without an enormous mech accompanying them to the photoshoot or convention, kekkuda was up to the task and brought about a unique Lunar New Year skin in the process. With the next Lunar New Year event right around the corner, it’ll be fascinating to see which heroes get brand new skins that cosplayers can soon turn into dazzling costumes.

  • Shining neon K/DA Kai’Sa and Akali cosplays light up the internet – Dexerto

Shining neon K/DA Kai’Sa and Akali cosplays light up the internet Two inventive League of Legends fans have brought Akali’s paint-stained neon style from K/DA’s POP/STARS video to life, alongside a brand-new look at fellow singer Kai’Sa, who appears in her own stylish neon outfit. K/DA is a music group featuring LoL champions Ahri, Akali, Kai’Sa, and Evelynn, with vocals provided by real-life performers Miyeon and Soyeon of (G)I-DLE, Jaira Burns, and Madison Beer respectively. The Riot-backed virtual group first made their debut ahead of 2018’s Worlds with the single release of POP/STARS. After their initial debut, the K-pop themed group, and their debut song, exploded in popularity across the world. POP/STARS went viral soon after its release, and peaked in the World Digital Songs chart’s number one spot soon after. Akali and Kai’Sa glow-up in real life Now, cosplay artists Sabina ‘Ichizy’ Ismailova and ‘Iona’ have brought their own “badass” style to the characters, and added an alternate neon glow to Kai’sa, who never appears in the video clip in a neon-stained costume. Not only did Ichizy and Iona knock it out of the park with the color wash that adorned their meticulously crafted costumes, but the photo shoot in a dark room made sure the blues, greens, and sharp reds and oranges popped even brighter. Ichizy (Akali) and Iona (Kai’Sa) both stand out in their bright neon colors. Akali’s role in the POP/STARS video clip is that of the group’s “bad girl,” singing in Korean instead of English like most of her co-stars, staining a train and herself in neon paint, and generally causing calculated havoc in the 3:22 video. Read more: Female Demon Slayer cosplayer becomes Sanemi – The cosplaying duo captured that essence for their own version of Akali, and the alternate Kai’sa, who appears in more regal purples and golds in the music video. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6LWbnjpjt_/ While Kai’sa’s neon styling was impressive for the fact that the cosplay pair had to build it from scratch, and really bed their own personality into the lit-up character, the real mastery was on show in Akali’s body paint and costume. In the music group’s film clip, Akali’s paint appears to be haphazardly thrown around, with a few personal designs drawn on, including a circular symbol on her stomach, and of course her teeth-like appearance over her face mask. Ichizy put both into her cosplay design, perfectly replicating the body paint of her League of Legends character, and making sure the facemask paint was correct down to the tee(th). Even Akali’s belt buckle, and one missing pant leg were there. The only thing that appeared a little different between the cartoon music clip and the cosplay itself was the color of the character’s hair, though that can be put down to Akali’s bright-pink do being near-impossible to recreate in real life. While Ichizy and Iona already knocked it out of the park with their neon-style Akali and Kai’sa, it looks like the dynamic cosplaying duo could be back with more League of Legends costumes in the near future, after teasing a True Damage set. “We were actually considering True Damage Qiyana and Akali, maybe we could think of something interesting with that cosplay,” Ichizy said. Whether or not the pair come back with another LoL creation, or something else like Ichizy’s recent take of World of Warcraft ultra-villain Deathwing the Destroyer, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for whatever they brew up next.

  • Neekolul cosplays Todoroki ‘sister’ in My Hero Academia TikTok – Dexerto

Neekolul cosplays Todoroki ‘sister’ in My Hero Academia TikTok Instagram: Neekolul / ShueishaTwitch streamer Neekolul has delighted fans of her’s and the anime My Hero Academia by cosplaying as character Shoto Todoroki’s ‘older sister,’ putting an awesome feminine twist on the original character design. Neekolul found popularity on Twitch in 2017, amassing a follower base of over 250,000 by playing games such as Dead by Daylight and League of Legends. She also went viral on TikTok in March with a video of her dancing to the Senzawa song “Oki Doki Boomer.” With her adorable personality, she regularly posts videos on the app of her trying out different looks and dancing along to popular songs, her videos scoring hundreds of thousands of views. She seems the perfect candidate for a personality-filled anime cosplay, and did just that by putting her own spin on Todoroki from My Hero Academia. Todoroki is a stand out character thanks to his half-red half-white hair, mimicking his half-hot half-cold Quirk. A student at U.A High, he is training to become a Pro Hero, and is one of the main protagonists in the series. Neekolul has flipped Todoroki on his head, however, by swapping his boxy school uniform for a uniform-esque green skater skirt, a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a bold red tie. The thigh-high socks and jacket wrapped around her waist tie the youthful school look in together, keeping with Todoroki’s original aesthetic but giving it a cute spin that has fans stunned. And of course, Neekolul has kept that iconic red and white hair, but instead of Todoroki’s cropped cut, her locks hang in long pigtails. The bold red of the hair and her tie really make the pink of her eyeshadow and blush pop, looking even more like she’s stepped right out of an anime. In the video itself, she dances to a throwback TikTok song “Mia Khalifa” by iLOVEFRiDAY, a song that soared in popularity on the app in 2018, making it the perfect MHA TikTok crossover with a boost of nostalgia for those who frequented the app at the time the song was at its peak. The perfect cosplay has gained 14,000 likes and 110,000 views in the 22 hours since it was posted, and no doubt there’ll be more people flocking to her page to see her amazing take on a classic My Hero Academia character.

  • Naruto’s Ino Yamanaka brought to life in eye-popping cosplay – Dexerto

Naruto’s Ino Yamanaka brought to life in eye-popping cosplay Cosplayer velvateena has managed to bring Naruto’s Ino Yamanaka to life with a stunningly accurate cosplay that has drawn plenty of plaudits from fans of the manga and anime series. Naruto is one of the most recognizable manga and anime series around after having debuted back in 1997 before going on to have a number of its own television series, video games, and even a collectible card game. As it has a wide variety of characters, the popular series is prime inspiration material for cosplayers across the globe – with some trying their hand at the main character Naruto Uzumaki and even background names like Hinata Hyuga and even Sakura Haruno. Yet, it is Nara’s Team Asuma counterpart Ino Yamanaka that has become one of the most impressive cosplays to date. In a post to the Cosplay subreddit, velvateena showed off her pretty stunning attempt at cosplaying Ino. While she may not have the powers of the anime character, the cosplayer nailed the character’s purple outfit, hairstyle, and huge blue eyes. Of course, she had a little help in being able to look exactly like the character in question, as Vel revealed that the hair was a wig – although she admitted it needed a little work at the back – and the eyes were helped out by mesh contact lenses that make everything just slightly blue. The brilliant cosplay managed to draw plenty of praises from her fellow Redditors who had laid their eyes upon it. “Looks great! The eyes really pull it all together,” commented ElectricHusky11. While other fans chimed in with “lovely” and “stunning” responses, another, Talekforever1, labeled it as a “life-like Ino” that wouldn’t be too out of place in a live-action TV series or even movie. Comment byu/velvateena from discussion incosplay Aside from Ino, the cosplayer has plenty of other anime-related outfits on her Instagram account, including Naruto’s Hinata, Tenten, and even Haku. It wouldn’t be surprising to see her attempting another stunning look in the near future, especially as there are tonnes of much-loved characters to still choose from.

  • Naruto cosplayer ready to lead Team 7 as electrifying Kakashi Hatake – Dexerto

Naruto cosplayer ready to lead Team 7 as electrifying Kakashi Hatake Viz Media / Instagram: stylouz_cosplayNaruto’s popular Kakashi Hatake of Team 7 fame has been brought to life with incredible accuracy as this Swiss cosplayer appears ready for a fight. [jwplayer MDxzN19r] Kakashi Hatake is one of the most formidable characters in Naruto. With his own unique flair and intellect, he’s a force to be reckoned with in any fight, making him a fan favorite from his introduction onwards. While he grew fond of his students and companions along the way, Kakashi was often alone in battle. Able to fend for himself with limited weaponry, his ninja-style puts him a cut above the rest when it comes to one on one combat. Swiss cosplayer ‘stylouz_cosplay’ embodied that lone wolf spirit perfectly with a recent photoshoot. Taking their costume out in the wild, they posed in battle-ready attire as only Kakashi would. View this post on Instagram Heading out to a nearby waterfall, this cosplayer perched near a majestic backdrop ready for any challenge. Every aspect of the iconic character has been taken into account to give off Kakashi’s pensive vibe. His trademark headband, simplistic mask, and unmistakable silver hair are all on display. They even replicated the scar ingrained across his left eye. The full costume fixates on the tiny details without sacrificing the overall aesthetic. Kakashi’s green jacket is just as striking as it was in the show. His handy blade is also at the ready for any opposition that steps up. A different photoshoot of the same costume brings his full powers into frame. Wielding his lightning-based techniques, the ground around him has been torn apart thanks to some stunning visual effects. • Naruto cosplayer explodes into action as creepily accurate Deidara – Dexerto

Naruto cosplayer explodes into action as creepily accurate Deidara Studio Pierrot / leiracosplay InstagramOne of the most disturbing members in Akatsuki’s ranks, Deidara, was tastefully recreated with a gender-bent cosplay of the young assassin from Naruto. While Naruto and the rest of Team 7 are some of the most popular characters for the anime/manga community to cosplay, there’s no denying the draw that the Akatsuki have on fans of the show. If they aren’t decorated in the standard outfit of a chunin, cosplayers and fans can be regularly seen donning the red and black cover-all cloaks of the Akatsuki, with its iconic clouds draped throughout. The giant robe is one of the essential parts of ‘leiracosplay’s design for Deidara, the other being one of the S-Rank ninja’s most noticeable traits- gaping mouths that are located on either of the character’s palms. Deidara’s extra mouths weren’t just for inducing nightmares: the former Explosion Corps. member would use the mouth to create the chakra-infused clay that would let him generate enormous blasts. In Leira’s cosplay, however, they’re used for both accuracy of the cosplay and to appropriately creep out anyone who comes across the design. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Gb_y8DQpC/ “Such a cool, yet slightly creepy cosplay of a character I loved to hate!!!” a fan said of her post. But if it wasn’t for Deidara’s trait that sorely stands out from the rest of the character, his most noticeable feature would certainly be the long, blonde hair they possess. Leira can be seen with bright blonde hair that’s propped up like the Akatsuki’s ponytail while having a large bang overflowing from their ninja headband. The costume is one of many Akatsuki members that the cosplayer has redone in her style. Previously, she’s given her take on notable members Pain, Konan, and even disgruntled older brother of Sasuke, Itachi Uchiha. Of the Naruto universe, one of her best transformations has to be when she dressed up as Orochimaru, the nefarious mastermind behind the scenes of various plot points from the story. Though leiracosplay’s Deidara design will stick in the minds of her fans for a mouthful of reasons, she’s proven to be an expert with the palette to recreate her favorite characters.

  • Naruto cosplayer awakens her Sharingan as Kakashi with female twist – Dexerto

Naruto cosplayer awakens her Sharingan as Kakashi with female twist Viz Media / Instagram: @findnicolehereKakashi Hatake is arguably the most badass character in Naruto, but one cosplayer has copied the copy-cat ninja himself and brought him to life with a female twist. Naruto is jam-packed with many awesome characters, each with their own in-depth background stories and motives. However, it’s hard to find one more universally loved than Kakashi Hatake. Kakashi is first introduced as a detached and eccentric teacher who takes Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke under his wing. But it quickly becomes apparent that he is one of the strongest and smartest ninjas in the world, often described as a genius. In terms of abilities, he’s essentially good at everything. However, the one that defines him the most is the Sharingan in his left eye socket, which was given to him by his childhood friend Obito Uchiha. Kakashi has been able to use the Sharingan to copy nearly any technique used against him ever since. It also gives him heightened visual perception and lets him see through deception as well as predict his opponent’s moves. However, it seems like Kakashi isn’t the only ninja worthy of the copy-cat title. A popular cosplayer named Nicole Winters brought him to life with a female twist. The end result is so perfect, not even the Sharingan itself would be able to see through it. “Kakashi is BAE.. you can fight me on that,” she said, in a picture that has received almost 30,000 likes. Naturally, her hair is slightly longer than Kakashi’s. But other than that, it looks like an exact match. The headband, mask, vest, gloves, and sandals couldn’t be more perfect. The outfit has an incredible amount of detail from head to toe. If that wasn’t enough, she totally nailed his trademark pose and even included the Icha Icha Tactics book he loves to read. “I love that you guys love my Kakashi genderbend,” she said in a second picture. “I’m so glad I decided to do another shoot with this cosplay again and bring some more life into & it’s literally one of my most comfortable cosplays too!” The second shot provides an even better look at the Hidden Leaf Village symbol on the headband and gloves. It’s hard to tell whether or not it’s real metal. Either way, it looks like the real deal. Nicole Winters has done a magnificent job with her Kakashi Hatake cosplay. It’s one of the best we’ve seen, which says a lot considering how popular of a character he is. If you’re interested in seeing all the bits and pieces she used to piece the cosplay together, you can find all the details on her Patreon.

  • My Hero Academia Nejire cosplay shows why she’s the best in The Big 3 – Dexerto

My Hero Academia Nejire cosplay shows why she’s the best in The Big 3 An incredibly talented My Hero Academia cosplayer shared her take on Nejire Hado from The Big 3, and it’s so accurate it’s almost as though she’s stepped right out of the anime itself. My Hero Academia blew a hole in the anime scene when it first debuted in 2016, as people fell in love with the show’s premise of superheroes and abilities called ‘quirks.’ It centers around Izuku Midoriya who is born quirkless, but inherits a power from the number one hero All Might, who then strives to become the best himself by attending U.A. High School. The Big 3 are the school’s top three students, and one of them is Nejire Hado, a fan favourite. Cosplayer ‘Penberly’ decided to try her hand at creating an outfit based on the heroine, and shared her incredibly accurate take. My Hero Academia’s Nejire comes to life In the show, Nejire wears a skin-tight bodysuit for her hero costume, which has a high black collar placed along the neckline. Not only does Penberly nail this perfectly, she also gets the arm wraps right, as well as the black bands around her legs, which really make it seem as though she’s come straight from the show and into real life. What pulls the look together, though, is the heroine’s pastel purple hair, which reaches all the way down to her thighs, and also twists into two spiral horns on her head. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Lg4Bejmat/ Pen has also covered other characters from the show before too, such as Mina Ashido – a fellow classmate of Izuku Midoriya. In her portrayal, the cosplayer pulls off Mina’s look perfectly with her pink skin, and alien-like eyes, which is rather fitting considering the character is known by her alias Ridley Hero: Alien Queen. While the hero’s signature yellow horns aren’t visible, Pen more than makes up for it with the accurate wig, which is an almost one for one representation of Mina’s shaggy hair. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvw6QlPjwn7/ The California-based cosplayer’s work is a hit with fans, as she currently boasts almost 98,000 followers on her Instagram page as of the time of writing. Not only does she cover My Hero Academia really well, Pen has also created outfits from hit games such as Overwatch, and other anime shows such as Dragon Ball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist.

  • My Hero Academia genderbent cosplay gives Bakugo a fresh look – Dexerto

My Hero Academia genderbent cosplay gives Bakugo a fresh look Tokidoki / BonesMy Hero Academia cosplayers have a large cast of lovable characters brimming with personality available for them to recreate, but one artist decided to give her take on one of the more explosive heroes in the series Katsuki Bakugo. The manga/anime centered around the next generation of heroes is one of the biggest franchises around at the moment, making it a consistent source of unique and inventive cosplays. Cosplayer ‘Tokidoki’ has a long line of incredible genderbend creations, and her take on the show’s hot-head perfectly captures all the attitude as well as fierce ambition the character in known for. In the show, Bakugo’s hero outfit consists of two grenade bracers fitted on both hands to store his sweat then release large explosions with his quirk. Also hanging around his belt are grenades, and he wears metal knee guards. Tokidoki brought all of the essential pieces of Bakugo’s outfit to the real world while giving them some fine tuning. No cosplay is complete without a bit of spirit added into the outfit, and Tokidoki absolutely nails Bakugo’s attitude by hilariously posing over a defeated Midoriya cosplayer. High. Along the way, Midorya and his classmates meet some of the pro heroes that they’ll be working with when they graduate. One of these is Mt Lady, who regularly appears at U.A. activities like the Sports Festival, and played a pivotal role in protecting civilians and students during All For One’s attack in the anime’s season 3. Mt. Lady, whose real name is Yu Takeyama, is one of the most recognizable heroes on the roster, but not just because of her unique look. Unlike other heroes who don’t physically transform when they use their quirk, the “Mineyama Hero” sees massive changes when she activates her power — literally — as she grows to massive heights. Aptly named Gigantification, the character who stands at 5′ 4″ in her normal form grows exponentially, reaching a mind-boggling 67 feet in height whenever she pleases. Unsurprisingly, the character immediately became popular with fans of the show. Cosplayer ‘lathrna_’ became the latest to show off their appreciation for the character with a near-perfect take on Mt Lady, complete with her instantly recognizable bodysuit, including the classic purple and orange accents that help her stand out from the crowd even when she’s in her normal-sized body. In the anime, Camie sports a skin-tight suit that covers her entire body, something which ‘blackkarmacosplay’ got down to a tee with her take on the character, which she wore to Katsucon 2020 in Maryland, USA. The attention to detail is excellent, with her black cap including the same red accents as the characters wear in the show, and even included the large golden ‘S’ on the front to signify the school that Camie attends. The cosplayer even included Utsushimi’s black and silver neck choker and the white cuffs she wears around her wrists, leaving no stone unturned in her quest to create the ultimate Camie cosplay. My Hero Academia grabbed audiences around the world when the anime adaptation debuted in 2016, with fans immediately hooked by the characters and stories, watching as a group of students learned to become superheroes, using their powers known as ‘Quirks’ for good. The story follows Izuku Midoriya as he learns to harness ‘One For All’, a legendary power passed from person to person through generations, but the shows other characters certainly captured the imagination of viewers, including Uraraka, whose power lets her ignore the laws of gravity and make objects, or herself, float. MHA Cosplay brings Ochaco Uraraka to life While many imagine Uraraka, who uses the name Uravity when fighting villains, in her combat gear, cosplayer taiga765 decided to take a different route, showing off her version of the hero-in-training in the U.A. High School cheerleading costume, something which Minoru Mineta tricked her into wearing following her elimination from the Sports Festival. Taiga has captured every detail of the outfit, showing off a flawless version of the hero in the cheerleading costume, sporting the orange and green colors with the initials “U.A.” emblazoned across her top. • My Hero Academia cosplayer’s Himiko Toga is in a league of her own – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer’s Himiko Toga is in a league of her own Himiko Toga is one of the most wicked villains in My Hero Academia, but one cosplayer was able to show off the cuter side of the bloodthirsty antagonist with their incredibly accurate cosplay. My Hero Academia follows the story of Izuku Midoriya in his quest the become the greatest of all the pro heroes, taking the crown of his idol and mentor All Might who trains him to use his incredible Quirk, a superpower known as One For All. The heroes protect the world from the various villains desperate to send the world plummeting into chaos, and none are more sadistic than Himiko Toga, a young girl with a vicious streak and a love of blood. Associated with the League of Villians throughout the third season, then joining the Paranormal Liberation Front, Toga Himiko has an obsession with collecting the blood of her opponents, storing it in canisters around her neck. Himiko doesn’t just keep them for the pleasure though, as she uses the samples as part of her incredible Quirk ‘Transform’. This lets her shape-shift into another person’s appearance once she consumes their blood, although she doesn’t gain their Quirks or knowledge. When she isn’t draining her enemies dry though, the villain often dresses as if she’s a schoolgirl, wearing a blue sailors top with an oversized beige cardigan and a red scarf tied loosely around her neck. She matches this with a pleated skirt with knee-length socks, and the same brown dress shoes that many children wear when heading to class. Japanese cosplayer Yuru captured the villain in her street clothes, posing in the same attire as Himiko is regularly seen in before engaging in combat. Her entire outfit is practically perfect, and is even holding one of the knives that the villain carries around, ready to strike if she sees a hero or a student of UA High. Yuru has even captured the finer details of Toga, pushing her blonde hair into the same buns that the villain often wears hers in, capturing the scary yellow hue of her pupils, and even showing off the same fang-like teeth that the character has in the show. My Hero Academia is currently in its fourth season, with Himiko Toga playing a major part in the story as Deku and his classmates continue honing their skills to become pro heroes, all while the shadow of villainy still looms large. For the first time ever, the show is being simulcast in both English and Japanese, meaning the dubbed version of the show is available at the same time as the normal release.

My Hero Academia cosplayer’s epic Eijrou Kirishima will be hard to beat Instagram: dontthreatenmewithagoodtime_ / Bone IncCosplayer ‘_katsuki_x3’ has captured the spirit of My Hero Academia‘s Eijrou Kirishima perfectly with an incredible cosplay that sees the stone hero take female form. My Hero Academia is one of the most popular anime series in the world and follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without a superpower, known as a quirk, who is gifted with the mythical power of All For One by his idol All Might and starts to attend U.A. High School to learn how to harness his new abilities and save the world from villains. Midoriya joins Class 1A and immediately meets a ragtag crew of other heroes-in-training, including Kirishima Eijrou, who is part of his class from day one at school and becomes a major player in the show’s overarching storyline as Deku’s story continues. Kirishima, who is known as Red Riot when he’s battling villains on the street, possesses an interesting quirk called Hardening, which gives him the ability to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, essentially turning himself into rock, which can be used to deflect attacks from opponents or be used to create extremely powerful attacks that are almost impossible to stop. For much of the show, Kirishima was more of a side character, but became a major part of the fourth season’s first arc, as the heroes attempted to rescue Eri from the clutches of Overhaul and his Shie Hassaikai group. Trapped with an injured Fat Gum, Red Riot channeled all the trauma he suffered as a teenager, recovering from devastating injuries to save his mentor and defeat the villains, allowing the group of pros and students to advance forward towards their final battle. Red Riot got his name from another pro, Crimson Riot, who he idolized as a child, but the name fits perfectly thanks to his fiery red hair, which _katsuki_x3 has modeled perfectly. The character’s gear-shaped shoulder pads rest on either side of her head, while she even recreated the red sash and chain that connect them to his belt, which is emblazoned with the letter ‘R’ to represent his name. _katsuki_x3 even showed off his interesting black mask, which makes his face look like it’s made of rock even when he’s not using his quirk, and makes him look like an Oni, a troll-like creature that is seen in lots of Japanese folklore and stories. The cosplay was made by ‘tsukuyimi,’ but was borrowed by her friend. Tsukuyimi has also cosplayed as terrifying villain Himiko Toga before, too. Chosen by Endeavour, his fiery father, to succeed All Might and “become the world’s greatest hero,” the half-hot, half-cold youngster has the weight of the world on his shoulders. All that is muddled by the fact that he hates his father. When he joins U.A. — where he meets eventual allies like Midoriya and Bakugo — he’s aiming to escape Endeavour’s shadow. Shoto Todoroki is “moody” and “stoic,” and that’s exactly what drew popular Instagram cosplayer Kaezuko to him in the first place. She seems to understand the young hero well too — her new cosplay captures him perfectly! This isn’t the first time Kaezuko has cosplayed the half-hot, half-cold U.A. hero, but she’s “always trying to do it better,” and this time she’s certainly turned on the heat. There’s always two parts of any perfect Todoroki cosplay My Hero Academia fans want to get right, and in this case both are awesome! Kaezuko has put on a half-white, half-red wig to stand out against the deep blue U.A. High school uniform. The second is Shoto’s iconic face scar, a burn across his left eye. Kaezuko used liquid latex to add texture to the scar, and darkened her eye with a crimson blush to make the burn. She also added a bright blue contact, which stands out in the center of Todoroki’s burned eye whenever he appears in the anime. “I’m happy with how it turned out!” the cosplayer told Dexerto. “I always really like seeing how my cosplays have progressed, and how I can still improve.” It’s clear Kaezuko put a lot of love into her Todoroki cosplay, and for good reason; the half-and-half hero is “definitely” her favorite My Hero Academia character. “I’ve liked Shoto since I first started watching the anime three years ago,” she admitted. “I really like his half-fire, half-ice quirk, as it made me think of Game of Thrones… I always tend to like the more moody characters, and in the beginning, he was exactly that!” Read More: Demon Slayer fan’s perfect Iguro cosplay – “He’s definitely my favorite. • My Hero Academia cosplayer turns up the heat as explosive female Bakugo – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer turns up the heat as explosive female Bakugo Instagram: @chameleahncos / Viz MediaKatsuki Bakugo might be the most temperamental character in My Hero Academia, but cosplayers and their fans can’t get enough of him, especially when they nail epic transformations like this. My Hero Academia is primarily about its main protagonist, Izuku Midoriya. But despite initially being introduced as a bully, Katsuki Bakugo has become a deuteragonist, the second most important character in the story. Not only is he in on Midoriya’s secret with All Might, but his relationship with them, while tense at times due to his crude and fiery personality, has been pivotal in their character development throughout the series. So, it’s not surprising that he’s become a popular pick among cosplayers, especially considering how awesome his hero uniform looks. But ChameLeahn made a resounding statement with her amazing transformation. She blew fan’s minds with a gravity-defying take on Ochako Uraraka, and now she’s done it again as Katsuki Bakugo. Leah’s outfit has all the important bits and pieces, from the orange and black costume and spikey blonde hair to the giant grenade gauntlets. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, she also included finer details like the grenade utility belt, metallic shoulder straps, and even perfectly matching his eye color. “I’ll become a hero that surpasses even you!” she said, quoting the hero. • My Hero Academia cosplayer turns into terrifying Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer turns into terrifying Himiko Toga Instagram: snailcos / Bones IncMy Hero Academia may focus on the story of Izuku Midoroya and his quest to use his powers to save people, but one of the anime’s villains has become one of the most popular characters to cosplay, with one fan showing off a frightening take on Himiko Toga. Deku is a young man born without a quirk, who dreams of becoming a professional hero like his idol All Might. After gaining the legendary power of One For All from the “Symbol of Peace” himself, Midoriya enrolls at U.A. High School to learn how to control his new abilities under the tutelage of the man who has been his hero ever since he was a child. While he meets other students with incredible and powerful quirks, Izuku quickly finds himself involved in crazy fights against the League of Villains, and while they may be the bad guys, few characters have captured the imaginations of fans around the world quite like the sinister schoolgirl, Himiko Toga. The antagonist first appeared during the second season of the anime, linking up with the League of Villains to launch an attack on U.A. High, designed to take down All Might once and for all. While she may not look particularly frightening, the young woman has a truly sinister side that matches her Shapeshifting quirk perfectly, an ability that seems to be fairly harmless until you learn how she activates it. Unlike other powers in the My Hero Academia world, Toga needs something to make her powers work — the blood of the person she intends to shapeshift into. Himiko takes great pleasure in procuring the red liquid she needs to go do, often seen carrying around a knife to cut potential targets, and even wears vials around her neck to collect it in so she can save it for later. • My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into “bloodthirsty” Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into “bloodthirsty” Himiko Toga Instagram: Mokiecosplay / FunimationA My Hero Academia cosplayer has shared her perfect cosplay of blood-thirsty villain Himiko Toga. The costume looks so real, it almost feels like she’s about to burst out of the screen and take a bite out of you! The super-popular anime series Boku no Hīrō Akademia, known as My Hero Academia to its western fans, tells the story of hero-obsessed Izuku Midoriya, who can’t become a superhero due to the fact he was born without a ‘quirk.’ That all changes when he meets All Might, the greatest superhero in the world, who gifts him a slice of his power. That puts him right in the path of a handful of terrifying villains, however, including fan-favorite Himiko Toga. Himiko, who is first introduced in the show’s second season, is one of MHA’s main recurring villains. First, she tries to lure All Might to his death at a U.A. training camp. Then, alongside Twice, she fought against Midoriya and his friends in the Shie Hassaikai raid. Toga’s defining trait — apart from her penance for licking up blood so she can shapeshift — is that she’s pretty wild. She’s in love with Midoriya and isn’t afraid to show it; a character trait cosplayer Mokie captured perfectly. MHA cosplayer becomes villainous Himiko Toga There’s one thing that always makes Himiko Toga stand out in a crowd; the huge metal teeth she wears around her neck. Mokie has designed the villain’s signature costume piece down to the finest details, even including flecks of blood. The Dutch cosplay artist also made sure to add Himiko’s bright white shirt — stained, just a little, with blood — and her school skirt. Finally, she added Toga’s blood vials on each of her soldiers, with tubes running to each of them. The pièce de résistance, however, was Mokie’s makeup and hair. She got the supervillain’s standout bone-white locks just right, which helped her bright yellow eyes pop even more. To top it all off, she was wearing Toga’s sharpened incisors. She told Dexerto, “Toga caught my attention the second she appeared in the anime! She’s so evil, in a cute way.” “I wanted to cosplay her mainly because of her personality,” the cosplay model continued. “I’m very attracted to ‘yandere’ characters… she’s just so amazingly sweet and cute, but in reality, she’s a true bloodthirsty psychopath.” Mokie also added the design was “awful to function in,” and that she didn’t wear the costume for too long because it can get “very claustrophobic”. She was very happy with the end result though, especially because she made it all from scratch. “The neckpiece is made with black fabric, low-density foam and white spray paint to make the teeth,” she told Dexerto. “The metal pieces on my shoulders are painted spray cans, and the rest is tubes, bottles, and self-made cardboard pockets.” View this post on Instagram The Dutch cosplayer is far from the only artist to unveil a stunning take on one of the many My Hero Academia characters too. Just last week, Hendoart went viral as Mt Lady, and the week before Amnesiahaze set the internet ablaze as Shoto Todoroki. All this My Hero Academia cosplay making you keen to watch the next season of the show? We know how you feel. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a wait. Season 5 is officially in the works, however, and should be available to stream in mid-2021.

  • My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into sinister villain Overhaul – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into sinister villain Overhaul Viz Media / Instagram: @emperorcosplayOverhaul is a frighteningly powerful villain in My Hero Academia, but that didn’t stop a talented cosplayer from bringing him to life in incredible detail, which left his fans stunned. Kai Chisaki, better known as Overhaul, is one of the most imposing villains in My Hero Academia. He believes Quirks are a blight on existence and infected people with grandiose ideas of being heroes and villains. For that reason, his goal is to return the world to how it was before they existed. Overhaul’s Quirk, which bears the same name, allows him to manipulate matter. He can disassemble anything he touches and re-assemble it however he wants. It has the potential to kill people. However, it can also heal wounds, including his own. Overhaul wears a black shirt and pants with a grey tie and brown belt covered in a green bomber jacket with a purple fur collar. However, the most iconic parts of his outfit are the white medical gloves and burgundy-gold plague mask. A brilliant cosplayer named MadX, who uses the handle emperorcosplay on Instagram, left his fans stunned after he re-created the outfit to perfection. He created the outfit himself from scratch, and his equally talented partner helped him with the plague mask. View this post on Instagram It’s always special to see an original piece because they’re all about innovation and creativity. No two pieces are the same, and although they often don’t look as refined as a purchased outfit, they’re organic and original. MadX’s outfit captures the best of both worlds, though. It looks as good as it gets, and could easily be mistaken for an officially licensed costume. He even shared a second photo from a month earlier, which captures a different angle. View this post on Instagram My Hero Academia cosplayers often dress up as their favorite heroes, which is great. However, it’s important to give the villains some love too, especially since their tragic lives and backstories are equally important in the storyline. Overhaul isn’t a popular choice, but it’s nice to see him re-created so perfectly. MadX’s fans can’t get enough of this piece, and he deserves all the kind comments and likes he’s received.

  • My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into sinister Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into sinister Himiko Toga Instagram: CoinOp Cosplay / Bones IncWhile My Hero Academia is full of likable heroes, one villain has continuously captured the imagination of viewers with Himiko Toga becoming a fan favorite, as shown in this incredible cosplay of the anime’s character. My Hero Academia follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without a superpower in a world full of superheroes and villains. After inheriting the legendary quirk known as One For All from his hero All-Might, he started to attend U.A. High School to hone his powers as he trains to become a professional hero, determined to use his newly-gained powers to become the new symbol of peace. Of course, not everyone wants to use their powers for good of humanity, much like Himiko Toga who was first introduced during the anime’s second season, who loves to cause trouble whenever and wherever she can, while also harboring a strong crush on Midoriya, someone she should be determined to take down permanently. Cosplayer shows off perfect Himiko Toga Heavily linked to the League of Villians, Toga‘s first appearance in My Hero Academia came as part of a plot to attack All Might and the students of Class 1-A before they got a chance to become too powerful and work together to take their shady organization down permanently. The sinister schoolgirl comes with a terrifying quirk of her own too, one unlike anything else we’ve seen in the world so far. Her power allows her to shapeshift into a perfect replica of anyone she pleases, but there’s a dark catch to this power. To do so, she needs to drink the blood of her desired target, with the more she consumes allowing her to hold the form for longer before her powers eventually wane and she returns back to her normal self. Cosplayer CoinOp’s take on the character is incredible, wearing a costume designed and created by Opie. The sinister look sees CoinOp brandishing a knife in front of her massive headgear, a mouth that covers her neck and chin complete with bottles to collect and store the blood of her enemies. The costume is perfect, dressed in the same beige cardigan that the character is often seen sporting, and finishing the look off with the red handkerchief that always hangs around her neck. High School. Himiko Toga is still a major part of the show, and can be seen through Season 4, which is currently being dualcast in both Japanse and English.

  • My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into menacing Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer transforms into menacing Himiko Toga Instagram: xochristaljudge / Bone IncHimiko Toga may be a villain, but My Hero Academia’s sinister schoolgirl has a ton of fans, with one cosplayer showing her love of the character with a terrifying take on Toga. My Hero Academia follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young man born without superpowers who inherits the legendary quirk known as One For All from his idol All-Might. Deku immediately joins U.A. High School to learn how to harness his new abilities and become the number one hero in the world, but the League of Villains have other ideas, hoping to kill All-Might and any potential heroes who could put an end to their campaign of crime. One of those villains is Himiko Toga, a crazed villain intent on taking down heroes — even if she has a massive crush on Midoriya — who has a taste for blood, in more ways than one. Toga first appears in the second season of the ultra-popular anime series, working with the League of Villains to take down the students of Class 1-A and All-Might as they train to harness their powers. Unlike other villains though, Himiko actually harbors a crush on Midoriya, taking any chance she can to get up close and personal with him, including at their provisional license training course. To do so, the sinister schoolgirl uses her quirk Transformation, which allows her to take the shape of anyone she pleases, although it comes with a gruesome catch. To do so, she must drink the blood of her intended target, so can often be seen carrying a knife in the hopes of using it to grab what she needs from any hero she can find. Cosplayer ‘xochristaljudge’ showed fans her terrifying take on Toga in her latest Instagram post, shapeshifting into the villain with stunning accuracy, including her instantly recognizable headgear which is splattered with blood, likely from whoever she just used the knife in her right hand on. Her blonde hair is pushed up into the same messy buns on the side of her head, while her outfit looks identical to that of Toga’s, with the same beige cardigan, red necktie, and knee-high socks that the character is always seen wearing. My Hero Academia cosplayer thirsts for blood as maniacal Himiko Toga Instagram: @tenevi_hagane / Viz MediaHimiko Toga has been getting lots of screentime in the latest My Hero Academia arc, and it motivated Tenevi, a popular cosplayer on Instagram, to bring the bloodthirsty villain to life. My Hero Academia Season 5 is on the verge of reaching its final episode since premiering on March 27, 2021. It’s given viewers a chance to learn more about the League of Villains and its member’s backstories, including Himiko Toga. Fans have been captivated by her strange personality ever since she first appeared in Episode 31. At times, she can be affectionate and cheerful, especially towards those she likes, including Izuku Midoriya. However, she also has a cruel and sadistic side. Plus, her vampire-like quirk lets her transform into people whose blood she has ingested, making her one of the most feared villains throughout the storyline. Still, that hasn’t discouraged cosplayers from bringing her to life, and it certainly didn’t stop Tenevi, a popular cosplayer with almost 15,000 followers on Instagram, from coming up with one of the best transformations we’ve seen. Tenevi nailed everything from the hair, makeup, and costume to all the minor bits and pieces, including the piped black mask with silver canisters around her shoulders. It’s perfect from head to toe. It’s not the first time we’ve covered one of Tenevi’s cosplays, and it won’t be the last. Her cosplays are amazing, and we can’t wait to see what she’s got in store next. • My Hero Academia cosplayer thirsts for blood as Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer thirsts for blood as Himiko Toga Bones / Instagram: blood.raven, rudyphototakerA My Hero Academia cosplayer has done an incredible job of recreating one of the anime’s most prominent villains, Himiko Toga, having revised an already stunning version of the character from around a year ago. While My Hero Academia has plenty of interesting heroes for the audience to root for, each with their own fascinating Quirks, no one has captured people’s attention in quite the way the Himiko Toga has. As one of the series’ primary antagonists, the blood drinking villain causes chaos for some of the main cast. But her eerily cheerful demeanor combined with her vicious character qualities has made her an iconic figure for many fans. This has gone on in turn to prompt many cosplays inspired by the character, and with a wide range of unique aspects to her appearance, people have had plenty of fun recreating Toga. We’ve seen some fantastic cosplays from bloodraven before including a spooky take on Pennywise for the movie IT, and as other MHA character’s like Midnight. We even saw her do a fantastic version of Toga before. Cosplayer reveals new and improved Toga However, she recently revealed that she had been working on a new version of her Toga cosplay, and just as we thought her last one couldn’t be improved upon, a year later this new version has proven to be even more stunning than the ones before it. View this post on Instagram In stunning photos shot by rudyphototaker, bloodraven shows off the base canisters by thedangerousladies, that she reveals she actually painted herself, giving it a super detailed look. The canisters are now also removable thanks to magnets, making it fully operational, not just cool looking. A new wig with a base from kasouwigs has been styled to emulate Toga’s voluminous buns on either side of her head, with the defined spikes giving the look a definite animated feel. View this post on Instagram The classic school uniform style combined with the heavy machinery and masks perfectly highlights Toga’s contrasting personality, and the way she poses definitely brings life into the already dynamic outfit. This new version of her Toga cosplay was certainly worth the wait, as the photos that came from the shoot are incredible.

  • My Hero Academia cosplayer terrifies as sinister Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer terrifies as sinister Himiko Toga Bones Inc / Instagram: pinkupandaa[jwplayer MDxzN19r]A My Hero Academia cosplayer has shown off her perfect take on one of the anime’s most terrifying characters, the blood-thirsty and unpredictable villain Himiko Toga. The ultra-popular anime made it’s stunning debut back in 2016, and has captured the hearts and imaginations of viewers across the globe as they follow the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young man learning to control his newly found superpowers as he attempts to become the number one pro hero and fight against the evil League of Villains. Throughout his time studying at U.A. High School, Deku has many ferocious and dangerous encounters with the villainous organization, and while they may be the bad guys in this epic story, one of the antagonists has enthralled fans above anyone else, with the sinister schoolgirl Himiko Toga quickly becoming a fan favorite, and one of the most popular characters from the series to cosplay. While Himiko may not look terrifying at first glance, the young woman has a truly sinister side that matches her seemingly innocent shapeshifting quirk. To transform into someone else, Himiko needs the blood of her intended target, and make no mistake, she takes great pleasure in extracting the red liquid she needs, often carrying around a knife just on the off-chance that she encounters someone she can slice. In fact, Toga often wears vials around her neck to collect any blood she needs, something that Instagram user ‘pinkupandaa‘ captured perfectly in her incredible cosplay, complete with the massive and scary teeth that make up part of her headgear. Her hair is styled perfectly too, sitting either side of her head in two messy buns, just like the character. Yuka has also matched her outfit too, with a red handkerchief tied around her neck, and her classic school uniform with a beige top and navy skirt. My Hero Academia cosplayer takes flight with awesome Ryuko Tatsuma Instagram: jindjinn / Bone IncMy Hero Academia remains one of the most popular anime in the world, and one fan showed off their appreciation for one of Season 4’s newest characters, pro hero Ryuko Tatsuma. The series follows the story of Izuku Midorya and his fellow Class 1-A students at U.A. In Season 4, Deku and his classmates are sent out on their Hero-Work Studies, a learning experience where they work with professionals in real-world situations to hone their skills, and popular characters Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui get paired up with the Dragoon Hero Ryuko Tatsuma. While many quirks see their users gain abilities, Ryuko’s sees her undergo a complete transformation as she turns into a large dragon, giving her superhuman strength, unmatched durability, and wings which allow her to take flight. Cosplayer ‘JinDjinn’ is clearly a fan of the character, showing off her perfect take on the character, complete with her instantly recognizable headband that sees a metallic dragon claw cover the right side of her face, and the black dragon wings that sit either side of her chin-length blonde hair. Attention to detail is always important in a cosplay, and JinDjinn has captured the pro hero perfectly, wearing the same white arm-sleeves that Ryuko wears, and even creating the same qipao that she wears, with gold detailing and green dragon-scale material on the sleeves. • My Hero Academia cosplayer takes control as UA High teacher Midnight – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer takes control as UA High teacher Midnight hana.cos / Viz MediaMy Hero Academia fans love Midnight for different reasons, but they can all agree that the flirtatious and perceptive teacher is an incredible character to cosplay, especially when it’s done as well as this one. [jwplayer 7oUVaTrP] Midnight, whose real name is Nemuri Kayama, is one of the most entrancing characters in My Hero Academia. On one hand, she’s an incredibly intelligent and perceptive faculty member at U.A. High School who teaches Modern Hero Art History. However, on the other hand, she’s playful, flirtatious, and temperamental, and embraces her sexuality in how she acts and how she dresses. It often serves as a source of comic relief in the show. But perhaps more importantly, Midnight is a badass hero who can secrete an aroma from her body that lulls people to sleep. It’s simple and useful, especially considering the fact it’s even more effective on men. A multitalented cosplayer named Hana Cos decided to slip into the My Hero Academia universe and become Midnight herself. It’s a popular choice that does the opposite of putting people to sleep, but it’s hard to find one better than hers. Hana seems to take a lot of pride and passion in her work, and it really shines through in her Midnight cosplay. It’s accurate and raunchy in all the right ways, from the predominately white costume with shades of black and red to the mask, whip, and ocean-blue eyes. However, what’s more impressive is how well she wears it. The outfit contours to her body in the same way it does to Midnight. She could easily be mistaken for the real deal, especially with the hairpiece sprawled across her head. View this post on Instagram Unfortunately, Hana had a little incident with her dog that ruined the hairpiece for good. It jumped on her bed and got its paw stuck in the wig. Hana had her priorities straight and did what needed to be done to save her pooch. Sadly, that meant she had to destroy the wig. The whole ordeal has put her off from trying to fix it anytime soon. It’s a shame, but at least she was able to show it off before it happened.

Himiko Toga is arguably the most brutal and sadistic villain in My Hero Academia. Not only because of her creepy mannerisms but also because her quirk revolves around her collecting and ingesting people’s blood. Despite that, though, she has an innocent and adorable look paired with a somewhat endearing personality. The polarity of her character has seen her become incredibly popular among fans and cosplayers. It was only a matter of time before Nikki Lee, a brilliant cosplayer who wowed us with her fantastic transformation into All Might, stepped into the shoes of the ferocious villain, and she did an excellent job. One Midoriya enthusiast, nikkosplay, dropped a clean, electric cosplay of the character. Nikkosplay is an androgynous cosplayer, model and artist with over 100,000 followers on Instagram. They’re popular, versatile and, apparently, very in tune with their audience — as their April Patreon reward offered a chance to cosplay as one of their personal favorite looks, My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya (also known as Deku). Deku, for what it’s worth, is pretty popular himself. At 16 years old, the MHA protagonist has already demonstrated bravery, selflessness and an unrelenting urge to fight villainy. While it’s unclear if nikkosplay followed all of those attributes, they most certainly matched the aesthetic — which is mighty popular itself. One of the more notable characters to cosplay in the anime world, Midoriya requires a combination of attire, makeup, contact lenses and, above all else (quite literally), hair. Nikkosplay must really appreciate their Patreon supporters, because no element of the combination was left untouched. View this post on Instagram As you can see in the cosplay shot, this look is a striking ode to Midoriya. In the sunlight, nikkosplay’s hair and outfit takes on a seemingly baby blue hue, suggesting an aura of electricity much like the character’s One For All energy Quirk. The hair, outfit and eyes all match a similar shade of greenish blue, with additional details coming with Midoriya’s freckles. Like the anime, nikkosplay has various freckles assorted in a diamond shape on each cheek — an accurate mimicry of the character down to the finest details. View this post on Instagram In other shots, it’s clear that nikkosplay’s wig is actually a green closer to Deku’s original design. And fans were particularly supportive in the replies, some saying “a perfect Midoriya” and others simply remarking “holy.” On nikkosplay’s end, they seemed delighted to get a chance at this cosplay, explaining that they’re “so happy I got to cosplay him again! He’s definitely one of my favorite MHA characters.”

My Hero Academia cosplayer spreads wings as No. 2 pro hero Hawks Instagram: @mollory / Viz MediaKeigo Takami, better known as Hawks, has been getting more screentime in My Hero Academia Season 5, and a talented cosplayer marked the occasion with a brilliant take on the No. 2 Pro Hero. My Hero Academia fans gravitated towards Hawks ever since he was first introduced in Episode 87. Since then, he’s been getting more screentime as the story progresses and has already become a fan favorite. Known for his laid-back personality, high intelligence, and disdain for social status and recognition, Hawks can fly using his Quirk, Fierce Wings, which grants him large red feathery wings on his back. However, that’s only the beginning of his potential. He can also control individual feathers with his mind and, coupled with their exceptional strength, speed, and sharpness, use them as weapons. Mollory, a cosplayer from New Zealand, stunningly re-created the hero. The outfit included everything from the blonde hair and yellow-tinged visor to the black shirt, boots, and gloves mixed with the tan pants and jacket. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the pair of bright wings protruding from the back of the jacket, which look like the real deal. “Getting to finally wear my finished Hawks cosplay yesterday at @overloadnz was a dream come true!” wrote Mollory. “I’ve been working on this for so long, and I was so, so grateful for all of the kind words and support yesterday!” They went on to say that Hawks is one of their “all-time favorite characters” and that “bringing him to life [felt] surreal.” View this post on Instagram It’s always nice to see fans create fantastic cosplays, but it’s even better when the character also happens to be a personal favorite. But while it seems a little odd compared to other quirks, it’s proven to be useful time and time again. Plus, combined with her hilariously blunt and outspoken personality and keen intellect, Froppy has proven that she is one of the most formidable heroes in her class. The show began airing in 2016, adapted from a manga that was published prior, and since then has gone on to secure a huge fanbase. The anime features a host of distinct characters who each have their own abilities, referred to as Quirks in the show. The Quirks dictate what abilities certain people have, and it often is tied into aspects of their personality and aesthetic. However Izuku Midoriya did not originally have a Quirk, something that ended up getting him bullied. Despite his lack of ability, he still dreamed of becoming a professional hero, with the anime following his journey alongside a host of other characters. One cosplayer who recreated Izuku’s iconic look was Lorentz iWood, who took on the challenge of creating a range of different looks for the popular character. In Deku’s hero look, Lorentz wears his green paneled jumpsuit with darker green strips running down the arms and in geometric formations on the torso. The tops of the sturdy green boots can be seen peeking over his knees, and contrast the chunky red utility belt and stark white gloves perfectly. View this post on Instagram The shaggy green hair and lightly freckled face are a great match for Izuku, and he completed the look with a can of Twisted Tea, a reference to the viral meme which commenters under the cosplay were loving. Lorentz also showed off a more casual Izuku look with a bold red hoodie and ripped jeans – though he still carried over the air of coolness to both looks. The photos captured by Richard Arcel are stunning, and perfectly showcase the fantastic costume along with the vivid backdrops. View this post on Instagram This cosplayer has clearly put a lot of hard work into Izuku, and the results are absolutely amazing, looking just like the real version of the popular character.

My Hero Academia is one of the most popular animes in the world, and while the show is currently in the middle of its fourth season, fans can also watch a brand-new movie stacked full with all their favorite characters, as Izuku Midorya and Class 1-A save a group of islanders from a powerful villain in the feature-length film Heroes Rising. While the anime mainly focuses on Midorya, a young man born without a superpower who gains the mythical quirk known as One For All from his hero All-Might, plenty of side characters have appeared and captured the imaginations of viewers around the world, and perhaps none are cosplayed as often as Camie Utsushumi. In Season 3, Class 1-A are introduced to prospective heroes from other schools like Shiketsu High, as they try to earn Provisional Licenses so they can go out and hone their skills in the real world with some of the greatest heroes in the world. Cosplayer ‘Scarlet_s2.0’ is the latest to try their hand at a cosplay of the character, and few have been able to match the character as well as she has, wearing a black bodysuit that is identical to Camie’s complete with the same white cuffs she wears around her wrists as part of her striking and instantly recognizable look. Attention to detail is always important in a truly brilliant cosplay, and Scarlet made sure that nothing was missed, sporting the same black school hat that all students at Shiketsu High must wear as part of their uniform, complete with the institutions logo emblazoned on the front, while her silver collar is also present to finish off the look. My Hero Academia cosplayer shows off fiery female Bakugo Bones Inc / Instagram: brieyusko[jwplayer MDxzN19r]A talented My Hero Academia cosplayer has shown off her special take on Katsuki Bakugo, capturing the hero’s fiery personality with an awesome recreation with a unique female twist. My Hero Academia follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young man born without superpowers who finds himself enrolled in the country’s premier hero training class after being gifted the legendary quirk ‘One For All’ by his hero and mentor All Might. Being born with no powers was tough for young Deku, not helped by his classmate and childhood friend Bakugo who would regularly torture him about his dream to become a pro hero. Disgruntled by Midoriya’s new-found powers, the pair’s rivalry continues throughout the show, and while Katsuki may seem harsh and temperamental, he proves time and again that deep down, his heart is in the right place, battling villains with intense ferocity. The bad-tempered teen plays a major part in the overarching story of My Hero Academia, and also possesses one of the most powerful quirks in the series. As volatile as his personality, Bakugo can use his sweat to create massive explosions, and his more than happy to blast evil-doers sky-high the moment he gets the opportunity, making him a surprisingly popular character despite his flaws. Cosplayer ‘brieyusko‘ is clearly a fan of the character, showing off her female take on the character on Instagram, immediately capturing the imaginations of fans around the world. Brie’s version sees her donning a blonde wig styled in a similar fashion to Katsuki, with a spiked fringer across her forehead. Her outfit is perfect too, with the same orange staps that play part of Bakugo’s hero costume running across her chest, highlight the black top. • My Hero Academia cosplayer shows off explosive dark side turn for Bakugo – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer shows off explosive dark side turn for Bakugo Studio BonesMy Hero Academia’s explosive hero Bakugo traditionally wears a slick green, black, and orange getup, but what if he strayed towards the darker side? Cosplayer Ovsyan_art gave us the answer. Bakugo might be known as Deku’s rival in My Hero Academia, but he’s been kidnapped before by the League of Villians in an effort to eventually turn him evil. And what better way to denote this in the anime and manga than a costume switch to darker colors? This change could take away the bright greens and oranges and switching to a more “evil” red and black. https://www.instagram.com/p/B76n4yHDVed/ Bakugo’s fiery personality means that he could have gone either way in becoming a hero or villain, something the League of Villians was looking to exploit. Of course, all of this lands firmly in what-if territory, as Bakugo was rescued by the heroes in training of class 1A. This incident was the same one that All Might went on to lose his powers against One for All, as he defeated the villain and was able to imprison him, but not without completely burning out his abilities. Read more: MHA cosplayer breaks the sound barrier as Hizashi Yamada The cosplay from Ovysan_art actually seems to depict a sort of action figure color variant, something that’s discernable through his somewhat unchanging expression and the plastic look of the cosplay. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7iiQ_koyqv/ While color variants are something very popular in comic books, we think the red and black would actually suit a villainous turn more than say, a stealth suit or some other reason for the costume switch. All of Bakugo’s equipment, including his Grenadier Bracers that store his nitroglycerin-like sweat, improvised grenades, and his “lethal” knee pads are fully represented in this cosplay. Ovsyan_art also has cosplayed a number of other characters, including Ed from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and continues to produce brilliant works of photography mixed with his costumes. https://www.instagram.com/p/B18vG0Xoi-_/ While time will tell if Bakugo ultimately chooses to be a hero and continue his quest for number one or turn down a darker path, it’s fun to imagine what he might look like if he chooses the latter.

  • My Hero Academia cosplayer shines as explosive female Katsuki Bakugo – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer shines as explosive female Katsuki Bakugo Viz Media / Instagram: @shellanin_Katsuki Bakugo is one of the coolest characters in My Hero Academia, and despite his flaws, he’s a personal favorite to many fans, including a talented cosplayer named Shellanin. My Hero Academia introduces Katsuki Bakugo as a rather unlikeable character. He’s rude, arrogant, and aggressive, which is probably due to the fact he’s naturally powerful compared to his peers. However, he softens up a little as the series progresses thanks to a series of personal defeats and reality checks. His undesirable traits don’t completely fade, but he becomes more likable and seems to develop a kinship with his classmates. For that reason, he’s become a popular choice among fans who love the fact he’s changing. Plus, the fact he’s incredibly strong and has an awesome quirk and hero costume makes him all the more appealing. A popular cosplayer named Shellanin has already dressed up as other My Hero Academia characters including Himiko Toga and Camie Utsushimi. However, for one of her latest pieces, she decided to dress up as Katsuki Bakugo. He also happens to be her favorite character, and it’s clear that her affinity towards him helped with the epic transformation. “[Bakugo] Katsuki is my [favorite] My Hero Academia character,” she wrote. “I’m so happy to finally be cosplaying him!” Her fans were happy too because it turned out to be an absolute treat. View this post on Instagram Shellanin captured all the important details in his costume. It includes everything from the black sleeveless tank top with an orange X in the center to the metallic neck brace, grenade-themed gauntlets, and utility belt. But that’s not all. She didn’t forget about the knee guards, combat boots, and the trademark black mask with jagged flame-like shards protruding from the back. Admittedly, the costume was created and designed by the talented miccostumes. Still, Shellanin wore it so well, she made it her own. All in all, it’s one of the best Katsuki Bakugo cosplays we’ve ever seen. My Hero Academia fans have been going nuts over it on social media, and rightfully so. Shellanin deserves all the kind words coming her way.

My Hero Academia cosplayer shapeshifts into terrifying Himiko Toga Instagram: evvils / Bone IncMy Hero Academia may follow the journey of prospective heroes, but sometimes it’s the villains who capture an audience’s imagination, as another anime fan shows off their incredible Himiko Toga cosplay. The show follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young man born without superpowers in a world full of humans with unnatural abilities. After a chance encounter with his idol All Might, he is granted the legendary quirk known as One For All, he starts to attend U. A. High School to hone his new-found powers, and train to become the new symbol of peace like the man who gave him the opportunity. Training to be a hero means you need to take down bad guys, and none are as interesting as Himiko Toga, a villain determined to bring chaos and destruction the world, but who also harbors a very public crush on Midoriya, taking any chance she can to get close to him despite their differences. Cosplayer shows frightening Himiko Toga look Linked to the League of Villains, Toga first appears in season two of the anime, plotting to help take down All Might and the students of Class 1-A, leaving them free to carry out their unlawful acts without the worry of being apprehended by the world’s number one hero. The sinister antagonist is regularly seen dressing up as a schoolgirl, but don’t let her look deceive you, as Himiko is one of the most vicious enemies any hero can face, with an incredible quirk that comes with its own dark twist too. Toga can shapeshift into any human form she desires, but to do so, she needs to drink the blood of her target, something which she takes great pleasure in securing with the use of her trusty knife. Cosplayer ‘evvils’ is clearly a fan of the character, and has been showing off her incredible take on Toga on Instagram, stunning fans of the anime with its authenticity. Himiko’s blonde hair is pushed into two messy buns either side of her head, but it’s her trusty headgear that really catches the eye, complete with canisters around her neck and on her back, and a menacing set of teeth on the front. Evvils even has a knife similar to Toga’s making it clear that she’s hunting for her next target. • My Hero Academia cosplayer shapeshifts into perfect Himiko Toga – Dexerto

My Hero Academia cosplayer shapeshifts into perfect Himiko Toga Instagram: sanny_cosplay / Bones IncMy Hero Academia is an anime full of exciting and likable heroes, but one of the show’s villains has captured the imagination of fans, with cosplayer Sanny showing her appreciation for Himiko Toga with a perfect version of the character. The anime centers around the story of Izuku Midorya, and his quest to harness the legendary power known as All For One that granted him incredible superpowers. In a world where most have these abilities, known as Quirks, some become Heroes and use them for good, while others turn to a life of crime, much like Himiko Toga. These villains intend to cause havoc and destruction across Japan, and while most villains hate the sight of a hero coming to apprehend them, Toga is the opposite, openly admitting she has a major crush on Midorya, even though his sole aim in life is to stop their villainous acts and protect civilians from harm just like his hero and mentor All Might. Cosplayer captures Himiko Toga The antagonist was first introduced in the second season of My Hero Academia, linking up with the notorious League of Villians as they plotted to attack All Might and U.A. High School, where heroes-in-training study and hone their craft before heading out to the streets as fully-fledged protectors. The sinister schoolgirl’s quirk allows her to shapeshift into anyone, but there’s a terrifying catch to how her power works. Unlike others, Himiko Toga requires something to make her quirk activate, and that’s the blood of the person she is hoping to transform into. Once she drinks it, she’s able to take their shape for a short time, with the more she consumes meaning the longer she can hold their look before her powers wane and she returns to her normal form.
