Full Metal Alchemist cosplayer pulls off jaw-dropping take on Lust Instagram: kyoki_cos / BonesA talented Full Metal Alchemist fan has created a perfect Lust the Lascivious cosplay, bringing the character to life with their incredible take. Full Metal Alchemist follows the story of brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric, who attempt to bring back their dead mother using alchemy, ending in a terrible mistake that sees Alphonse lose his entire body and his soul placed into a suit of armor. The pair set out to try and recover his human form, but their journey is full of dark secrets and dangerous enemies, including the Homunculus known as Lust, who shares the same desire to become human that Edward and Alphonse do. All seven of the Homunculi in Full Metal Alchemist are branded with Ouroboros, mystical symbols that represent the eternal circle of life and death, or wholeness and infinity. All of these icons feature marks feature a dragon eating its own tail, with Lusts sitting on her chest, something which the cosplayer as matched with incredible accuracy. Even including the unique symbol that sits inside the image of the winged beast. Kyoki has the same flowing black hear that Lust wears around her shoulders throughout the show, and her form-fitting dress mimics the character’s and includes the long sleeves she wears when not showing off the massive talons she can often be seen sporting throughout the series. The red detailing on both arms is even accounted for, making this incredible cosplay look like it was lifted straight from the series itself. Despite releasing over 10 years ago, Full Metal Alchemist remains immensely popular among anime fans thanks to its gripping story and incredible ending, with many still regarding it as one of the best shows of all time. Those who haven’t watched it, or just fancy reliving the story again, can watch it in its entirety on Netflix, Crunchyroll, or Funimation.

Full Metal Alchemist cosplay gives Edward Elric a shock female twist – Dexerto
Full Metal Alchemist cosplay gives Edward Elric a shock female twist Orlando-based cosplayer ashefrosty offered a female spin on the classic Full Metal Alchemist character Edward Elric that was pitch-perfect and doesn’t even require equivalent exchange to look at, other than your admiration. While Edward Elric is perhaps one of the most well known male protagonists in anime in the past 20 years, his heroism has inspired efforts from both genders around the world. Take this impressive Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay, featuring a fully metal automail arm, from ashefrosty, for instance. It perfectly captures the stoic nature of Ed’s diminutive stature. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7AJzL5j4IA/ “My Ed automail arm is 100% my proudest cosplay achievement of 2019, maybe even ever,” Ashefrosty said in an Instagram post. With the help of Photoshop and After Effects, Ashefrosty even brought Edwards ability of transmutation without a circle to life. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4gKZ8KD7gu/ In the Fullmetal Alchemist anime and manga, Edward is one of the few characters who have seen the “truth,” accessed when he attempted human transmutation to bring back his dead mother. But his experiment failed, resulting in his arm and leg being taken, along with the body of his younger brother Alphonse. Elric was one of the youngest State Alchemists in history in the show, discovered after the State sent Roy Mustang to investigate reports of the Elric brothers having attempted human transmutation. Fullmetal Alchemist remains one of the most popular anime in the past 20 years. Both the original series and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are available to watch on Netflix. The show has also been adapted to live-action. Ashefrosty does far more than just FMA cosplay. She has also cosplayed as Yuna from Final Fantasy X, Princess Garnet from Final Fantasy 9, and others. Much of her work has also been enhanced in Photoshop to more closely resemble its source material, as with this work below. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByQoBSHj5ur/ Ashefrosty and other cosplayers have been offering their spin on male characters, and there’s a lot of popular ones out there for them to attempt. Which would you like to see next?

Final Fantasy XIV cosplayer ready to lead Scions as stunning Minfila Warde – Dexerto
Final Fantasy XIV cosplayer ready to lead Scions as stunning Minfila Warde Square Enix / Instagram @aicosuFinal Fantasy XIV’s popularity is on the rise, but it’s been a heavy hitter in the cosplay community for a long time with amazing transformations like Darling’s take on Minfila Warde. Final Fantasy XIV had a rocky start when released back in September 2010. However, after it was reworked and got replaced with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in 2013, it has been one of the most popular MMORPGs ever since. The storyline is spread across three major expansion packs; Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers. And if that wasn’t enough, a fourth expansion, Endwalker, is set to release in November 2021. Today, more than 22 million players are still regularly playing the game, and those numbers have been increasing. It’s no surprise, then, that Final Fantasy XIV cosplays are growing in popularity, too. And with so many colorful characters, it’s easy to understand why. Darling, who is one-half of the massively popular Aicosu cosplay account along with her husband, Sylar, has been fascinated with the game for years. So, to celebrate her passion and commitment to Final Fantasy XIV, she decided to cosplay one of its most beloved characters, Minfila Warde. Minfila led the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, an order that transcends political boundaries and seeks to preserve Eorzea’s future. She also regularly helped players in the first part of the story. Darling is a huge fan of the character and her adoration shines through in the quality of the piece. View this post on Instagram Darling’s cosplay rocked the socks off her fans. They poured in waves of thousands to show their support, describing it as “beautiful” and “stunning”. They’re not wrong either. Every little detail was accounted for and she looked like a screenshot from the game itself. Final Fantasy cosplayer joins the resistance as incredible Tifa Lockhart Square Enix / Instagram: aikurosFans of Final Fantasy are loving streamer Hyoon’s perfect take on popular character Tifa Lockhart, matching the original look exactly and looking as if she had come straight from the game. 2020’s Final Fantasy VII remake was hugely anticipated, with both new and old fans of the franchise keen to delve into the world of the game again, with it having been first released way back in 1997. Hyoon was one such person to take on the character’s combat-inspired costume, and she definitely hit the nail on the head, with her post quickly gaining thousands of likes on Twitter. https://twitter.com/floaromaa/status/1353496925425733633 Hyoon had the outfit down perfectly – a white sports top with a black under-layer giving off the perfect athletic feel, with the leather braces hung from her neck and attached to her skirt which added the combat vibes. Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer summons Meteor as Sephiroth – Dexerto
Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer summons Meteor as Sephiroth Instagram/vanessawedge/Square EnixA Final Fantasy 7 cosplayer tried her luck at adding a feminine twist to the game’s antagonist Sephiroth with her own unique cosplay take. Cosplayer Vanessa Wedge added some neat touches to the former SOLDIER’s outfit by tweaking a few parts of the character to be more feminine while still remaining true to the source material. To begin, the most obvious change is the addition of a black bra whereas in the game, the top of his coat is open revealing his chest. Additionally, the antagonist’s belt is a bit higher up in Wedge’s version. Aside from those modifications, the rest of the cosplay is pretty spot in. Everything from the shoulder armor, black coat and gloves, and even battle stance are nicely recreated by the cosplayer. She even went through the trouble of adding Sephiroth’s legendary katana, Masamune, and, in several poses, Vanessa wields the weapon and even charges into battle. Last but not least, Wedge’s white wig nails the flowing silver hair of the One-Winged Angel. https://www.instagram.com/p/B082Y9rDztp/ In her most recent photo, appropriately titled “touching reunion,” the cosplayer digitally inserted the character’s wing as a meteor above heads towards Earth. This isn’t the only Final Fantasy cosplay the model has done either; Wedge’s Instagram also includes photos of her dressed as Tifa Lockhart and Aerith. Aside from Final Fantasy, she’s also cosplayed as Street Fighter’s Chun-Li, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, and more. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-snjApDYI0/ Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been extremely well-received with an average of 88 on MetaCritic from 103 critic reviews. Meanwhile, users scores average out to a solid eight out of ten. The remake differs from the original in several ways and with multiple parts still to come for the project, there’s no telling just how the different things will shape up, potentially leading to even more unique cosplay possibilities in the future. Hopefully, Wedge tries her luck dressing as them the same way she did with Sephiroth.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer melts hearts with beautiful Aerith take – Dexerto
Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer melts hearts with beautiful Aerith take Square Enix / Instagram: @peachmilky_ / @lukecraigphotoTo celebrate the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PlayStation 4, a skilled cosplayer brought Aerith Gainsborough to life with a mind-blowing costume. The artist’s perfect re-creation of the RPG character will melt your heart. After nearly 23 years, players are finally getting to return to Midgar as Final Fantasy 7 Remake released on April 10. The wildly-anticipated title reimagines the classic RPG from the ground up. A talented cosplay artist transformed into one of the game’s lead heroines, Aerith. Her incredibly accurate portrayal of the flower girl will leave fans in awe, and is the perfect way to celebrate the iconic story’s rebirth. Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith brought to life The story follows Cloud Strife who is an ex-SOLDIER of the Shinra corporation that joins the eco-activist group Avalanche. Upon their journey to stop the destruction of the earth, the protagonist meets Aerith in the Sector 5 Slums. Cosplayer Sophie ‘peachmilky_’ shared her detailed costume on social media, and it is one of the best takes on the Final Fantasy character that we’ve ever seen. She perfectly mimicked the heroine’s flowing braided hair. The Tokyo-based artist teamed up with photographer ‘lukecraigphoto’, who captured her recreating the flower girl’s iconic pose from the game. The gorgeous backdrop of sakura flowers ties the whole thing together. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-d4ADXDBGe/ Sophie posted photos of the cosplay on Instagram, and in another shot gave a full view of just how faithful her costume is to the game. The outfit she wore was handmade by ‘fmanime’. The artist really nailed Aerith’s unique fashion style – from her patterned pink dress, to her signature short red jacket. She even included the brown belts that wrap around the sleeves. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-tvQaJDZjS/ Peachmilky also recorded a video of her in character that went viral. Clasping a flower, she turns to the camera as Aerith’s theme song plays. At the time of writing, the clip has over 16.5k views. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-0ImE-DLbf/ The beloved RPG originally made its debut in 1997 on the PlayStation. After decades of waiting, fans can finally get their hands on the reimagining, as it’s now available on PS4. The Remake will come out in multiple parts, as this is the first chapter of the epic saga.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer joins the party as magical Aerith – Dexerto
Final Fantasy 7 Remake cosplayer joins the party as magical Aerith Instagram/faelablanche/Square EnixLike many JRPG fans, cosplayer FaeLaBlanche was excited for the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and tried her luck at recreating an outfit based on the game’s magical maiden, Aerith Gainsborough. The stellar ensemble includes all of Aerith’s bracelet accessories, which stick to the source material and vary in color with bronze, silver, and copper. Her red button-up bolero jacket is open too, just like how the character’s jacket is presented in-game, showing off her pink dress underneath. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-zDIvvjb1K/ Speaking of pink, the cosplay included Aerith’s pink ribbon to tie back her brown hair. Finally, FaeLaBlanche even incorporated the character’s brown boots that stand out in contrast to her more feminine attire to complete the outfit. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9PQ4KrJ-J_/ True to character, in a couple of photos on the model’s Instagram, she poses while holding yellow flowers – a nice touch seeing as she is first seen in the game carrying flowers and later giving one to the game’s protagonist, Cloud Strife. In another neat photo, the cosplayer stands alongside fellow model Katstawp, who is dressed as Tifa. This is a nice touch seeing as the two female party members have several scenes together in Final Fantasy 7 and make quite the strong duo with Tifa’s rapid punches mixed in with Aerith’s magic. This photo also has FaeLaBlanche wielding Aerith’s staff – her primary weapon in the game, so it’s nice that she didn’t forget about it when designing the outfit. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2ZNHGeoqZC/ Aside from Aerith, the cosplayer has also dressed up as Tifa and Jessie Rasberry, rounding out the Avalanche squad. With Final Fantasy 7 Remake still having more parts of its story to tell, hopefully this isn’t the last we’ve seen of FaeLaBlanche’s Aerith or her takes on other classic characters.

Fierce Overwatch cosplay will have D.Va fans asking “is this easy mode?” – Dexerto
Fierce Overwatch cosplay will have D.Va fans asking “is this easy mode?” L: i_n_o_p_l_a_n_e_t_y_a_n_k_a – Instagram R: Blizzard EntertainmentThis superb Overwatch cosplay brings the popular tank D.Va to life in a way we’ve never seen before. Overwatch has such a vast array of characters, but cosplayers definitely have a select few that they enjoy dressing up as the most. D.Va, one of the original heroes in the game, is one of those, and despite so many different takes on the same character, there are still times where you can find yourself blown away by what somebody has come up with. Cosplayer i_n_o_p_l_a_n_e_t_y_a_n_k_a debuted her take on the former professional gamer, complete with the hero’s iconic headset and MEKA jumpsuit. In fact, the only complaint we have is there isn’t more to look at it. While it’s probably not possible, we would have liked to see how she’d have looked inside of her mech. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7ddn9Ch5JQ/ Everything from the jumpsuit, the gun with the charm, and even the face paint are absolutely nailed. We’ve seen a lot of D.Va cosplays over the years, but this one is easily one of the best we’ve seen so far. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8WDOT9hDAe/ From the looks of her Instagram, this is the first time she’s tried out a D.Va cosplay or any Overwatch character for that matter. That actually makes it even more impressive since she didn’t have any practice with another hero beforehand. While a lot of the posts are of cosplays, it doesn’t look like she’s ever gone as in-depth before as she did with D.Va. If this ends up being the beginning of a string of Overwatch cosplays, then we’re really excited to see what gets cooked up next. Some heroes that could end up being on the radar for a future cosplay include Mei, Ana, and even Sombra. One creation we don’t see much of is Orisa, but that would be a very interesting hero to tackle some time down the road.

Fierce Ashe cosplay proves the Overwatch hero shouldn’t be underestimated – Dexerto
Fierce Ashe cosplay proves the Overwatch hero shouldn’t be underestimated BlizzardOverwatch cosplays continue to spread like wildfire in the online gaming community and another from Ashe, inspired by one of the character’s unique skins, is blowing fans away. While Blizzard Entertainment might never have been able to predict just how popular its characters would become when the game first released, in turn, nobody could have predicted how creative its community would soon become, either, with fans creating some insane artwork, costumes, and more inspired by their favorites. Cosplayers are going above and beyond for each hero, too, and an unbelievable recreation of Ashe’s original skin has been revealed for people to see. For those who don’t know, Ashe is the leader of the Deadlock Gang, and a damage hero in the multiplayer game. Her original look, which includes a black jacket, pants and a hat, is certainly among the most liked in the community. As seen in a post to the cosplay subreddit, Reddit user elizabethramen has been receiving compliments from hundreds of people for pulling off the look. The post has been upvoted over 700 times at the time of writing, after being uploaded on January 29. Elizabeth Ramen also shares a number of her other cosplay designs to Instagram, but this one inspired by Overwatch is right up there with her best work yet – for sure. The attention to detail is clear, with a gold edging to different elements of the outfit, including the boots shoulder pads and customized weapon – which is a really nice touch. It’s not the only Ashe cosplay that we’ve seen in recent times, though, with other cosplayers deciding to stick with blonde haired original skin too, although there are other variants where she pulls off a brunette style instead. Ramen has also confirmed that she’s working on a new outfit inspired by Ashe’s Warlock skin, although it’s unclear as to when that will be ready. Based on the reaction from this cosplay, many will be hoping sooner, the better.

FFXIV cosplayer rallies troops for Endwalker as breathtaking Y’shtola Rhul Square Enix / Instagram: peachmilky_PeachMilky, a multi-talented cosplayer, model, and streamer, rallied the troops in preparation for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker by cosplaying Y’shtola Rhul, one of the game’s most iconic characters. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, the highly anticipated expansion fourth expansion to the smash-hit MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV Online, is finally launching in December 2021 after some unexpected delays. In the meantime, though, cosplayers have been doing their best to build up hype before its release. We’ve already seen some incredible takes on some of the game’s most popular characters, including Minfila Warde and Tataru Taru. PeachMilky’s transformation into Y’shtola Rhul, the Cultured Conjurer, is one of the latest ones blowing up on social media, and for a good reason: it’s absolutely stunning. In September 2021, PeachMilky made a massive splash in the cosplay scene by transforming into Genshin Impact’s Sangonomiya Kokomi. Now she’s done it again as Y’shtola Rhul, and it turned out great. “Cosplaying Y’shtola was a lot of fun because I’m not used to doing such dark style photos. FFXIV cosplayer oversees the Scions as adorable Tataru Taru – Dexerto
FFXIV cosplayer oversees the Scions as adorable Tataru Taru Square Enix, Instagram: cupsofpreThe adorable Tataru Taru has become one of Final Fantasy XIV: Online’s most prominent characters, and this cosplayer has brought her to life with a stunning FFXIV cosplay. While Lalafells are pretty easy to overlook in Final Fantasy XIV: Online (literally,) Tataru Taru has cemented her place as a fan favorite character within the title’s main story. The receptionist to the iconic Scions of the Seventh Dawn, Tataru is small yet mighty, even keeping the likes of Minfila Warde and Y’shtola Rhul in check. One cosplayer, though, has transported the adorable Lalafell into our real world with a stunning FFXIV cosplay that will have you falling in love with Tataru all over again. FFXIV cosplay truly embodies Tataru Ready to organize the Scions in style is cosplayer cupsofpre, who decided to channel her love of Final Fantasy into creating an amazing rendition of Tataru. “I fell in love with the game as I progressed through A Realm Reborn,” she told Dexerto. “What inspires me to keep going on and renewing my subscription is continuing my Warrior of Light’s story, the story of the world of FFXIV, and to revisit my favorite NPCs such as G’raha Tia and of course, Tataru!” Speaking of Tataru, Pre confesses that there was no other choice when it came to an FFXIV cosplay: Tataru was truly just right. “She stuck out to me as being the heart of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and seeing her in-game always brought a big smile to my face,” she confessed. “I can also personally relate to her character, as there is a certain side quest where she expresses how inferior she feels around her fellow Scions. It’s then proven later on that her moral support and her role essentially as then Scions’ “cheerleader” is what cements the group together, in my opinion. That’s why I call her the heart of the Scions.” View this post on Instagram This passion translates into every little detail of her cosplay. From the tip of the canary yellow feather on that iconic beret down to her simple yet iconic baby pink tunic and tan chinos, everything is en pointe. Read More: How to Glamour in FFXIV Online – “I got my Tataru cosplay from the cosplay manufacturer, EZcosplay and the wig from Arda Wigs. I personally think the aspect of my cosplay that sticks out is Tataru’s signature red beret. I got that commissioned by my good friend, ukrainekraine. I truly love how big the beret fits on my head and definitely keeps the look of a Lalafell!” View this post on Instagram Will Pre’s Tataru return in time for FFXIV Endwalker? This likely isn’t the last we’ve seen of Pre’s Tataru, though, as she’s all aboard the Endwalker hype train. “I can’t WAIT to see what Endwalker has in store for us. I just hope by the end of it, our Warrior of Light gets that vacation to Costa Del Sol that is long overdue,” she jests. “Jokes aside, I can’t wait for more adventures with the Scions and the rest of the NPCs. It’s going to feel so good to renew my subscription in November, then go back to healing for Duties and Raids.” As Tataru’s story progresses we can’t wait to see how Pre’s cosplay journey does, too. One thing’s for certain, though, we will never have enough cups of Pre!

Fantastic Frozen cosplay shows the dark side of Elsa – Dexerto
Fantastic Frozen cosplay shows the dark side of Elsa Instagram, faerie_blossom / FrozenDisney created one of the most creative stories with Frozen, captivating people in the millions with the journey of Elsa and others, and now fans are starting to show the same levels of inventiveness with their cosplays. For those who don’t know already, Elsa is the Snow Queen of the story, but isn’t really considered to be one of Disney’s main princesses, with the likes of Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, and others taking the spotlight. Whatever you choose to call her, there’s no doubt that she is one of the most popular characters Disney have created. In the first Frozen movie, she was afraid to use her abilities – to create ice – after causing a near-death experience for her sister, Anna, the story’s main protagonist. While we never really saw the dark side of the character then, despite such strong powers and fears from parents that she would eventually get too powerful, one cosplayer wanted to show those elements and it looks very different to the Elsa many viewers have been exposed to. Typically seen in her light blue dress, with dazzling white hair, Elsa looks almost the complete opposite in the version created by ‘faerie_blossom,’ posted to Instagram. The cosplayer, who has over 120,000 followers on the social media platform, has managed to pull off the deuteragonist using a much darker look. Pictures below with dark eye shadow, a purple dress and on a black background, this isn’t really what you would expect from somebody trying to pull off Elsa. With that said, it makes it stand out and is definitely an impressive take. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-DPOCrDPnH/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link This isn’t the only image to have been posted by the cosplayer, either, incorporating more of her abilities into the next shot – uploaded to her Instagram page on March 23. In the past, she has also replicated the normal Elsa outfit, as well as other characters from Devil May Cry, The Hobbit and more. At first, it might have looked like a black dress with a purple tint, but the second makes it very clear that the dress is in fact the latter. There is no sign of the frosty abilities that you would expect, but keeping a similar hairstyle and dress type. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-F_8k7jBUD/ Having received hundreds of compliments online, it would be surprising to see the cosplay designer not go out and take on the challenge of recreating another Frozen character in the future, with Anna a possible candidate for that, not to mention the long list of Disney princesses as well. Whatever she decides to do next, though, based on this outfit you would have to think it would be a success. Great job!

Fallout cosplayer zaps away thirst with incredible Nuka Girl outfit – Dexerto
Fallout cosplayer zaps away thirst with incredible Nuka Girl outfit A Fallout cosplayer had an incredible approach to the pin-up Nuka Cola mascot of Nuka Girl with an outfit that is bound to impress fans of the post-apocalyptic Bethesda game. Reddit user Sassy_Nickel took to the site’s Cosplay board to share her take on Nuka Girl for the world to see and combined with the impressive photoshoot, she looks like she is ripped right from the game. The whole outfit is very true to the Nuka Girl mascot found in Fallout as she appears in ads for the soft drink. With knee-high boots, gloves, a pin-up themed space suit and jetpack, Sassy_Nickel did a fantastic job at mimicking the character. Perhaps most impressive was the addition of the “Thirst Zapper” – a water gun in the shape of a Nuka Cola bottle. The weapon can be found in Fallout 4 and is perfectly redesigned as a prop as part of the cosplay. In the comments section, Sassy_Nickel revealed that the whole cosplay was entirely homemade. “This was my first time trying something with so many props/accessories. Now I’m excited for the next challenge,” she wrote and added a grinning emoji. She further provided more details writing, “The jetpack straps are made from cut up baseball umpire belts to match the gunbelt.” Additionally, the cosplayer claimed that “the bubble helmet is an acrylic street light globe with the neck cut off” and “the shirt, pants and gloves are thrift shop items that I chopped up and repurposed.” For the boots, however, she admitted that she bought a decent pair on Amazon because walking around a convention for hours would be painful if they weren’t comfortable. In the Fallout universe, Nuka Cola was the most popular drink in America. Following The Great War, Nuka Cola bottlecaps became the currency of the land. Promotional posters featuring Nuka Girl can be found all over the game. Sassy_Nickel’s photoshoot, done by Harlow Pinup Chicago, tries to take one of those posters and bring it to life with startling accuracy. It will be fun to see what the cosplayer can whip up next time, especially given the attention to detail she put into Nuka Girl.

Many cosplayers have amazed LoL fans with their takes on fan-favorite Champions, and Jinx fans are in for a treat thanks to Carry Key. The Belarusian cosplayer definitely did Jinx justice with her take on the loose cannon as just about every detail was spot on. Even Jinx’s favorite rocket launcher (named Fishbones) made a welcome appearance. Carry managed to get everything right, from the Champions’ iconic long blue pigtails to her collection of tattoos and bullet lined clothing. The little details were perfectly done as well, such as the mismatching pair of tights and easily missed double belt. The clothing was also identical to Jinx’s, featuring a once-again mismatched top, her pink shorts, as well as the unexpectedly big black boots. View this post on Instagram Maybe we should settle down and live peaceful lives. ‘Really? I always hoped one day you’d—‘ Haha, nope! You’re a death machine for life!” ? This was a great take on League of Legends’ Jinx and fans of the game, as well as cosplay in general, will definitely be looking forward to what Carry creates next.

Evangelion cosplayer goes viral as real life Asuka Langley Soryu – Dexerto
Evangelion cosplayer goes viral as real life Asuka Langley Soryu Studio Khara / Instagram: @himee.lily, @niniel.phA talented cosplayer made waves online after they brought Neon Genesis Evangelion’s lead heroine, Asuka Langley, to life with an insanely accurate costume. [jwplayer MDxzN19r] Perhaps one of the most influential animes of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion made its debut in 1996. The Studio Gainax Mecha series was adapted from a manga written by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. A talented cosplayer celebrated the animation, by transforming into the show’s lead heroine Asuka Langley. The artist looks so much like the beloved pilot, it’s almost as if she’s flown out of the screen. Evangelion cosplayer becomes real life Asuka The show takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have to fight off large creatures called Angels. To combat the monsters, characters like Asuka connect their nervous system to bio-mechs called Evangelions. Cosplayer ‘himee.lily’ went viral on social media after sharing her true-to-life take on the heroine. Photographer ‘niniel.things‘ captured the Italian-based artist posing as Langley in her iconic red pilot uniform. Himee’s costume brought Asuka’s bodysuit to life, and it is full of accurate detail. Not only does it have the green light that runs across her neckline, it also has the number two written above her chest which identifies her as the “Second Child” of Unit-02. View this post on Instagram The cosplayer also nailed the heroine’s signature look, faithfully mirroring her auburn hair which is tied up into twin ponytails that run down her back. The shot could easily be mistaken from a scene from the show, as the artist also captures Langley’s mannerisms by recreating her pose and facial expressions from the anime. Evangelion originally made its debut as a manga, before being adapted into a TV show. The original story was meant to be a companion piece to the anime series which released a year later under the creator’s own studio. The groundbreaking Mecha story celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020. Despite coming out decades ago, the franchise is still as popular as it’s ever been and continues to be a fan-favorite in the cosplay community.

Evangelion cosplayer becomes Rei Ayanami with epic underwater photoshoot – Dexerto
Evangelion cosplayer becomes Rei Ayanami with epic underwater photoshoot Funimation / Instagram: @tessa_crownster, @samu.snapA Neon Genesis Evangelion cosplayer shared her transformation into popular character Rei Ayanami. The artist brought the anime heroine to life with a mind-blowing underwater photoshoot. Ever since its debut in 19995, Neon Genesis Evangelion has been one of the most influential animes of all time. The Studio Gainax Mecha was originally written by Hideaki Anno. To celebrate the hit show, a cosplayer went to new depths – literally – to bring lead character Rei Ayanami to life. The artist’s jaw dropping underwater photo recreation will leave fans of the sci-fi epic speechless. While the series heavily revolves around teenager Shinji Ikari moving to Tokyo-3, the protagonist quickly meets a diverse cast of characters after joining Nerv. One of the fierce characters introduced is Rei Ayanami who pilots Evangelion mechs to defend humanity from the alien threat called Angels. Cosplayer Tessa ‘tessa_crownster’ made waves on Instagram after faithfully bringing the heroine to life in November. The artist absolutely nailed the character’s signature look, accurately mirroring her short blue bob-style haircut, as well as depicting her striking red eyes. Tessa utilized underwater photography with the help of ‘brettsphoto‘ to truly capture the anime’s sci-fi roots. The result is stunning as it looks like she is floating in a tank full of wires and circuits. The creative shoot is easily one of the best cosplays we have ever seen of Evangelion. View this post on Instagram In another shot posted to the cosplayer’s social media, crownster gave fans a closer view of her incredible portrayal of Rei. The picture taken by ‘samu.snap‘ showcases just how accurate her costume is to the hit anime. Epic WoW Tyrande Whisperwind cosplay is so good Blizzard responded – Dexerto
Epic WoW Tyrande Whisperwind cosplay is so good Blizzard responded Instagram: Tsuki_Iseki, Blizzard EntertainmentWorld of Warcraft’s Tyrande Whisperwind has become one of the title’s most iconic characters. One WoW cosplayer has transformed herself into a stunning version of the high priestess, and Blizzard have noticed. The WoW universe is packed to the brim with unique characters that fans everywhere have grown to love, but one of these is Tyrande Whisperwind. The Night Elf has even managed to wander her way into Blizzard’s MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, where she is one of the title’s base characters and, in turn, many new fans first taste of WoW. Sylvanas Windrunner is another Warcraft icon that’s made the transition across to HoTS, and one cosplayer has perfectly transformed herself into the Forsaken banshee. On the other end of the spectrum, though, comes this amazing Tyrande cosplay that even reached the finals of Blizzconline’s popular cosplay contest. Stunning WoW Tyrande cosplay Resurrecting her cosplay of the high priestess of Elune, Polish cosplayer Tsuki Iseki brought Tyrande to Blizzcon 2021. Although she lost out to this insane cosplay of Bolvar Fordragon, her replica of the Night Elf took her all the way to the finals of one of the most established cosplay competitions in the world. And it’s not hard to see why. Perfectly recreating Tyrande’s iconic sea green hair and eyebrows, as well as her ghostly white eyes and pointed, pierced elven ears, at first glance it would be easy to mistake her for a drawing or 3D render. That’s before we look at the armor. Crafted to incorporate the plumage of purple feathers and swirling natural patterns that adorn the body of the metal itself, every detail from top to toe is in line with the original design. View this post on Instagram A final shout out goes to Tsuki’s version of Tyrande’s beautiful Ironfeather longbow. Curved in all the right places with protruding violet feathers adorning the wooden body to the weapon, this could truly be the Night Elf’s real bow. View this post on Instagram While it might seem like a travesty that she didn’t snatch the Blizzcon cosplay crown, it’s important to remember that the competition is incredibly fierce. Tsuki is right to proudly proclaim her finals status in her bio, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with to steal the title next time!

Epic Star Wars Mandalorian cosplayer looks ready to capture big bounties – Dexerto
Epic Star Wars Mandalorian cosplayer looks ready to capture big bounties DisneyStar Wars’ spinoff show, The Mandalorian, blew up on Disney Plus with the help of Baby Yoda’s viral memes, and one cosplayer has taken their fandom to the next level with an astonishing take on the lead character. The show, which first premiered in November 2019, has an impressive 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is heralded as one of Disney’s best exclusive series’ to date. For those who haven’t watched it just yet, it follows the story of a bounty hunter, similar to Boba and Jango Fett. One of the most impressive parts of the show was the production level, which you would expect to be at a tremendously high level for a Star Wars movie anyway. However, one fan has proven you don’t have to be on a Hollywood set or based deep into the desert to look like the character. A homemade cosplay replicating the Mandalorian’s look has been created, and it might be the best we’ve seen so far. Impressive cosplay of The Mandalorian Everything from the helmet to the blaster is on point here, there’s no doubt about it. This slick design from Reddit user Pikezer1337 flew to the very top of the r/cosplay subreddit on September 1, accompanying several others from different TV shows and video games. What’s special about this one, though, is the precision. The detailing on the shoulders of the outfit show the time and effort spent on the clothing as well, fixing it up just right for collecting bounties. With a weapon like that in-hand, enemies don’t stand a chance. Star Wars fans loved it The comments received underneath the post were just as impressive. One user asked: “Did you just walk off set? Because this is the most on point Mando I’ve seen,” while another posted: “Awesome cosplay dude. Uprooted for flippy gun thing.” Indeed, the flippy gun taunt in the video was good, but the star of the show has to be the cosplayer themselves. Pikezer thanked a number of users for chiming in with such kind words, and hopefully we will be seeing a lot more from them in the near future. They said: “Tthanks a bunch for the kind words. I tell ya, I was so scared that thing was gonna fly off my finger and break.” Thankfully, it didn’t come to that.

Epic Shinobu Kocho cosplay shows why Demon Slayer is the best 2019 anime – Dexerto
Epic Shinobu Kocho cosplay shows why Demon Slayer is the best 2019 anime A skilled cosplayer took Shinobu Kocho from hit anime Demon Slayer and turned her into a real-life work of art, proving why the show was crowned best of 2019. In the adaptation, Shinobu is a hunter and the Insect Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps – a group dedicated to eradicating the world of the monsters. Being a Pillar means that she is one of the most powerful members of the organization. Talented cosplayer Erin Lynam decided to bring the skilled swordsman to life with an incredibly accurate take on the character that makes it look like she’s popped right out from the TV screen. Cosplayer becomes Shinobu Kocho One of the Insect Pillar’s most defining features is her white haori which is designed like a butterfly to fit her organization name, and Erin nailed this in her rendition for an almost one for one replica of the outfit. It is worn over Shinobu’s Demon Slayer uniform, which all members have to wear when they’re out hunting demons – the collar of which can be seen poking out of the top of the shawl. The artist also included the hunter’s iconic butterfly hair clip to match the print on the clothing, and placed it perfectly on the back of the character’s yakai-maki hairstyle. She even included the signature purple color on the strands that frame her face. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6s2JxhHZnd/ In another shot, actual butterflies are edited into the photograph by photographer Charles Isaac to further accentuate the character’s love of insects, and to tie the whole look together. Shinobu’s butterfly wing socks can be seen peeking out from the bottom of the picture too, which she also wears with her uniform, alongside the white haori. The hunter is a talented swordsman, and this is showcased by her katana sword, which is no longer a blade and instead houses a rod with a sharpened tip – much like a bee stinger. The hilt of it is seen in the shot, too. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6qStxyHv0V/ Not only is Erin a great Demon Slayer cosplayer, she’s also designed outfits from other animes such as Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Persona 5. Season one of the show can be watched in its entirety on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and TV streaming service Hulu, and it was even voted the best anime of 2019 by Ranker.

Epic Sett cosplay shows why LoL’s new champion is definitely the boss – Dexerto
Epic Sett cosplay shows why LoL’s new champion is definitely the boss Riot GamesArgentian cosplay superstar Estanislao ‘dyhzy’ Fernàndez has unveiled one of the very first takes on the newest League of Legends champion, Sett, and his outfit for ‘the Boss’ couldn’t be more on-point. Sett first stormed onto Summoner’s Rift earlier this week in Patch 10.1, bringing with him new challenges, a mysterious series of objectives on his calling card, and of course the lofty air of bravado that defines LoL’s new aggressive top laner. There have been plenty of complex champions released recently, so Sett’s simple kit and abilities have been a breath of fresh air for many League players. Alongside his skills, however, came the possibility for plenty of cosplays. Sett punches his way into the world of cosplay Though cosplayers are still setting the rules when it comes to what makes a perfect Sett outfit, there’s one thing that every take on the Boss needs — confidence, and plenty of it, something dyhzy pulls off in style. For the most part, the Argentian cosplayer got the fighter’s details dead-on. Sett’s flaming red hair stood out as the cosplay centerpiece, while Fernàndez had his purple fur robes draped across his shoulders in a trademark cocky pose. The smaller details were perfect too. Dyhzy had crafted black and gold gloves to standout, and added steel clasps across his chest and belt. Finally, he added the key extras, including jacked juggernaut’s flaming fist, and his toothpick. It wasn’t just Sett’s toned physique and brawling gear that dyhzy managed to get right either, as the cosplayer pulled off his mannerism in his Instagram post too. “When life gives you lemons, punch life in the throat…” Fernàndez said, channeling Sett’s egotistic bravado. “Since Sett was released to the public two days ago, all I could think of was that I have to cosplay this guy right now.” The Argentinian star also made sure to thank his team, mainly fellow South American cosplayer Belu Everdeen: “Major thanks and shout to Belu. We worked for 10 hours straight to have it finished as soon as possible and it definitely paid off.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B7ZDsijnMGF Estanislao, who is relatively famous in Argentina due to being the son of current president Alberto Fernández, doesn’t just do League of Legends cosplays either, and often dabbles in cross-dressing outfits like Overwatch’s D.Va. While there are some that have attacked dyhzy in the past for his gender-switching designs, his father has always stood by his son, and his cosplays. “I have pride in my son, how can I not be proud?” the Argentinian president told Reuters in October. “My son is a rights activist in that community. I would worry if my son was a criminal, but he is a great man.” If you’re looking to play Sett now that he’s live on servers with the release of Patch 10.1, make sure you read Dexerto’s champion gameplay guide to point you in the right direction for the best runes, items, tips, and builds. Players can already change Sett’s style in-game with his Mecha Kingdom variant as well, begging the question: how long until dyhzy, or another cosplayer, delivers their own unique take on the robotic version of the Boss.

Epic Groudon cosplay will stomp its way into Pokemon fans’ hearts – Dexerto
Epic Groudon cosplay will stomp its way into Pokemon fans’ hearts THE POKEMON COMPANYAn insanely skilled Pokemon cosplayer has literally brought Groudon to life with an incredible cosplay that looks as though it’s stomped right out of the game itself. Groudon first appeared in Gen III as the Legendary mascot for Pokemon Ruby, and it is part of the Weather Trio alongside Kyogre and Rayquaza. Talented Reddit user ‘blastoise_irl’ transformed game into reality with their amazing take on the giant Rock-type monster. Best Groudon cosplay ever! On January 30, the Pokefan shared their costume to Reddit, where they wowed the community with just how epic it looks. While many cosplayers dress up in clothes that mimic the character they’re playing, the user’s Groudon was literally a giant suit. The video they shared shows the monster parading around, and really does look like it’s jumped right out of the Game Boy Advance screen and into reality. Not only is the color of its red skin completely perfect to the 2002 title, every other detail is also there too, including the white spikes, black detailing, and gray underbelly. The cosplayer even stuck a few poses such as a sideways stomp and walking on the spot like the Pokemon, really capturing that fiery atmosphere the monster brings. Though it’s difficult to pick the best part of the look, the incredible accuracy of the face is something to be marveled at – it’s simply crazy that it looks that much alike. While the costume is insanely cool, wearing it is apparently not. When a commenter asked “I bet that feels like you’re inside a Volcano with the heat wearing that,” referencing the magma that Groudon sits in in Ruby,” Blastoise replied with “Like swimming in the magma pool.” It’s definitely one of the best cosplays we seen to date, and we’re not the only ones who think so – the post has gathered over 31,500 upvotes at the time of writing. If you’d like to play Ruby but don’t have a Game Boy Advance, Nintendo released a remake of Generation III called Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire on the 3DS, bringing to the modern day for both new and old players.

Epic Ciri cosplay is a mirror image of the Witcher 3 star – Dexerto
Epic Ciri cosplay is a mirror image of the Witcher 3 star enjinight Instagram / CD Projekt RedA work-in-progress cosplay is already proving to be one of the most picture-perfect Ciri designs to come out of the Witcher 3 community, and it’s pretty mesmerizing. The quality of typical Witcher costumes come in the intricate clothing and the extra flair laced throughout designs – but that approach is hard to get just right in the case of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, who is seen with a rather straightforward approach to her outfits. As far as Witcher 3 goes, Ciri grew up to take after the White Wolf by wearing a simple tunic with leather bottoms. Missing are all of the chainwork, ornate layers, and other hallmarks of typical garb seen in Skellig. Thus, that means design creator ‘enjinight’ had to perfect the other facets of a good Ciri cosplay – namely, the hair and facial features that made the ‘Ugly one’ a standout in the Wild Hunt. In this regard, the cosplay is far and away an impressive feat of detail, since there isn’t much separating the in-game character model from enjinight’s reimagining of her. Admittedly, she said this was specifically a makeup test for a possible Ciri cosplay that would look a lot more complete later on – although the groundwork she’s already laid out for the approach as a whole is shaping up to culminate in something special, if she goes through with it. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_yCpWFletk/ A lone and experienced adventurer, Ciri can be regularly seen with the trademark disheveled ashen hair that typically denote Witchers from the rest of the crowd. Seen with a Witcher medallion that is normally located around Geralt’s neck, enjinight’s green contacts mirror the character’s, along with the deep, dark makeup around her eyes that makes her emerald eyes pop. Under her left eye is a massive scar that the young warrior obtained while on the run from the lands many hunters trying to track her down. In a strange way, the scar brings the makeup test together, since it’s essentially the most noticeable aspect of the seemingly delicate features that Ciri has. This is actually the second Witcher cosplay from enjinight, as she previously perfected Yennefer’s look too. Though this was only a test run, the immaculate resemblance that enjinight shares with the Witcher 3 heroine is leaving fans to eagerly anticipate a more complete cosplay from her in the future.

Emiru goes viral on TikTok with her chilling Genshin Impact Ganyu cosplay The Twitch star made waves with the Genshin Impact community when she shared her true-to-life take on Ganyu in an October 6 tweet. The social media post showed her jaw-dropping transformation into the Liyue heroine. Emiru captured the character’s signature feathered blue hair, including the split bangs which frame her eyes. In the game, Ganyu is a god-like being known as an Adepti and has red and black horns that spiral out of her head, which the streamer nailed with life-size prop accessory. The content creator also faithfully depicted her multi-pieced outfit, including the golden bell which hangs around her neck and rests on top of her chest. Bringing the whole cosplay together is accurate portrayal of the protagonist’s piercing purple eyes. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Emiru brought the Liyue secretary to life in an adorable TikTok. Teaming up with bonbibonkers who portrayed other Genshin fan-favorite Keqing, the duo re-created the viral “Pink Pink Pink” Linda and Heather best friends dance. This isn’t the first time the Twitch star has transformed into a Genshin Impact character either. Over on her Instagram, she has shared incredible re-creations of Mona and Eula, just to name a few. Speaking of Ganyu, the much beloved character is rumored to have a rerun banner soon in the Gacha RPG. While not confirmed, the heroine could return some time in 2021.

Dying Light 2 cosplayer slays the Infected as bloodthirsty Lawan Instagram: shiva_abarai, TechlandDying Light 2 lurks upon the horizon, and one cosplayer has suited up to slay the hordes with her fearsome recreation of Lawan. Techland’s zombie survival game, Dying Light 2, is set to reimagine the age-old conflict between the living and the undead in the spectacular world of The City. In a world fraught with chaos and terror, only the strongest can survive, and among them is Nightrunner and close companion to the game’s protagonist, Lawan. To celebrate the launch of the second installment in the franchise, Italian cosplayer Shiva has brought the character to life in a handmade outfit that is here to slay. Dying Light 2 Lawan cosplay is perfection amid the chaos Choosing to create her Lawan cosplay after she “discovered the cosplay contest held by Techland,” she notes “since the contest said to choose a character from Dying Light 2, there weren’t many options for a female character. Luckily I liked Lawan design.” Earning her third place in the event, she notes “I made the costume all from scratch, the jacket was plain faux leather, and I sewed the squares to make it quilted. The bracer and belt are made of EVA foam that I made look like leather. “I’m also very proud of the crossbow which I made of EVA foam, and some details I modelled and 3D printed.” It’s that particularly nasty-looking weapon that immediately catches your eye, as every little detail has been recreated to perfection. Telling Dexerto “in general this costume wasn’t difficult,” she confesses “because of its simplicity I tried to reproduce all the details faithfully,” and she did just that. From head to toe you can see just how much effort has gone into this outfit. Everything beautifully mirrors her virtual counterpart. View this post on Instagram Of course, with Dying Light 2 just around the corner, Shiva’s excited to finally meet the woman that inspired this outfit. “After making the cosplay, I’m very curious to play Dying Light 2,” she notes, and it’ll be interesting to see where her journey through The City takes her. We know one thing for sure, though: the Infected don’t stand a chance.

Overwatch cosplayer takes to the skies in brilliant Dragoon Mercy outfit – Dexerto
Overwatch cosplayer takes to the skies in brilliant Dragoon Mercy outfit Instagram: avera_cosplay / BlizzardThere’s the easy way of doing a Mercy cosplay, and then there’s Avera’s way. The cosplayer has taken on Dragoon Mercy in one of her latest designs, with an exquisite finish from head-to-toe that has got everyone turning their heads. It’s one thing to just put on the bare clothes of your favorite character. No armor, no weaponry, just the most basic cosplay. It can still be done well, but sometimes, you’re left wanting just a bit more. Well, Avera is taking things to the next level. The cosplay, who always goes above and beyond in their designs, has done it once again with Overwatch’s Mercy in her Dragoon anniversary skin. While the skin isn’t the most popular among mains of the Swiss healer, Avera is certainly capturing everyone’s attention with her insanely intricate cosplay. She designed a full kit of armor, not missing a single detail from the heavily-scaled pieces, right down to the fuzzy trim. She also adorned the skin’s wonderfully-crafted Dragon helmet. It wasn’t a one-man job. Avera got the help of her friends, including ‘gsprops’, who helped her make the golden staff that goes along with the green and metal cosplay. Her Mercy cosplay is deserving of every award in the book, and you know it would have done amazingly at BlizzConline if she chose to submit it. View this post on Instagram Instead though, Avera put together another cosplay for that competition which ended up wowing everyone. Her Plaguebringer cosplay was recognized for being one of the best, finishing in the Top 6 of the Weapons and Armor category. Given how amazing her recent designs have been, we’re hoping she takes on another fan-favorite from one of Blizzard’s universes and kills it in 2022 when the convention moves back to Anaheim. That’ll be one cosplay you won’t want to miss out on taking a photo with!

Dragon Ball Z cosplayer stuns fans with incredible Bulma transformation – Dexerto
Dragon Ball Z cosplayer stuns fans with incredible Bulma transformation Instagram/jessica_heeren_cosplay/ShueishaA Dragon Ball cosplayer captured the spirit of the original chapter 4 manga cover featuring Bulma with a brilliant outfit. Throughout the series, the character of Bulma has changed drastically going from the somewhat edgy-looking teen early on to a respectable scientist by the time we reach Z and eventually Vegeta’s wife. However, one of her most classic looks comes in the form of the cover art for manga chapter 4/Volume 10 with her wild rider attire and stunning gun-wielding pose. Cosplayer Jessica Heeren managed to nail the iconic look and took to Reddit to show off the outfit and got a lot of compliments from fans of Dragon Ball. “That looks great! I love your attention to detail, and how bright and happy it came out! really carries the energy of the series and character,” one user noted. As you can see, the cosplay was able to completely recreate everything from the manga. Her right pant leg is completely bare, exposed instead with a bandaged kneecap. The gloves are mixed and matched with one longer than the other. Even the hair, which is often times very difficult to get just right, amazed some users on Reddit. View this post on Instagram “Nice job on the hair, I always find that people mess up the color but it looks really natural and not out of place here,” one fan remarked. “Thank you. It was a higher quality lace front wig, which I had cut professionally by a hairdresser. Then styled it myself. I am always very picky on getting the right wigs,” Heeren replied. View this post on Instagram According to the cosplayer, when ended up scouring eBay for nights on end searching for the exact wig for this particular outfit. The Dragon Ball series has been going on since the 1980s and has no sign of stopping any time soon with the Super manga. Hopefully, the series can continue to change up Bulma’s look so Jessica Heeren can keep banging out these amazing cosplays.

Dragon Ball Z cosplayer stuns fans with risqué Bulma outfit – Dexerto
Dragon Ball Z cosplayer stuns fans with risqué Bulma outfit Cosplayers are some of the most talented people on the planet, and infamous costume artist Enji Night proved just that with her rather risqué take on Dragon Ball Z’s Bulma. We all watched Dragon Ball Z as kids, and wished that the DBZ universe would come to life. Cosplayer Enji Night has inched us closer to that reality with her stunning rendition of Bunny Bulma. Bunny Bulma was first debuted in the anime in the 1986 episode ‘Keep an Eye on the Dragon Balls’ in which Oolong makes her wear the outfit after she dirties her clothes. The cosplay… Enji debuted her rendition on her Instagram page, where fans fell head over heels into nostalgic bliss at the sight of her outfit. She got the bunny ears and necktie down to a tee, and even included the wrist cuffs for added accuracy. She even detailed the making process on her Instagram story, giving fans an exclusive insight into how she made her cosplay. She started off by interfacing leather and sewing them together, before adding in steel boning to reinforce and strengthen her outfit. Fans loved it Enji’s outfit even made it onto the Dragon Ball Z subreddit, where dedicated fans were in awe of her costume. “Amazing! > If your cosplay can make it all the way to Reddit and impress devoted fans with high expectations, you know you’ve done something right. Doom cosplayer goes viral turning Animal Crossing’s Isabelle into the Slayer – Dexerto
Doom cosplayer goes viral turning Animal Crossing’s Isabelle into the Slayer Nintendo/Instagram/madsfiveEver since Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing New Horizons released on the same day back on March 20, 2020, there have been memes about how Isabelle and Doomslayer are friends. Now, a cosplayer has combined their love for both franchises with an amazing crossover cosplay. It’s weird to think that Animal Crossing and Doom could be such an on-point combination, but kind of like peanut butter and chocolate, it just works. The contrast between the hellish morbid gore found in Doom and the whimsical innocence of Animal Crossing create a fantastical middle ground that has been embraced by even Bethesda themselves. Cosplayer Madsfive took her skills with creating props to the next level by designing some Doomslayer armor with an Animal Crossing twist that is both adorable and frightening. View this post on Instagram In a series of Instagram posts leading up to the grand reveal, Madsfive posted images of her project. The catch was that it was limited to just Doomslayer armor. The chest plates, boots, gauntlets and weapons were all well-received by fans for their attention to detail. The bits of blood on the cosplayer’s face and weaponry was a nice touch that showed she was a hardened warrior. However, she surprised everyone when she unveiled the final portion of her cosplay: a wig, bow and makeup that turned her into Isabelle from Animal Crossing. “Rip and care,” she captioned her post. “You thought it was Doomslayer, but it was me! Isabelle!” The amazing cosplay even got the attention of the official Xbox Twitter account who replied “Until it’s done” to her tweet showing off the outfit. Back on Instagram, Madsfive revealed she still has plans on making the helmet and become Doomslayer, but in the meantime, this version of Isabelle would suffice. View this post on Instagram Fans absolutely love it too. It’s been liked nearly 80,000 times on Twitter with over 12,000 retweets. Considering how amazing this crossover turned out, we can’t wait to see what the finished Slayer look will be like and what other cosplays Madsfive will have in store for us in the future.

After seeing all the wholesome crossover posts when the same release days were announced for #doometernal & #animalcrossingnewhorizons it had to be done. It’s been a long time since I made armor and I’ve had the Isabelle ears finished since last year. A fun diversion – now back to weird and luxurious dresses ✨? . . . #doomcosplay #doometernalcosplay #isabelleanimalcrossing #isabellecosplay #animalcrossingcosplay “It’s been a long time since I made armor and I’ve had the Isabelle ears finished since last year,” she outlined after combining the two separate pieces. An in-depth YouTube video also showed off the design process behind the DOOM armor, revealing every piece of equipment needed to prepare for combat. “As both secretary to the town’s mayor and doomslayer, it’s not only my job to rip and tear, but to rip and care,” she joked all in character. As the latest entries in each franchise released on the same date, there was plenty of overlap in the marketing for both DOOM Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. If you’re a fan of both, this cosplay is certainly one to strike a chord. One can only hope we’ll get the crossover sooner or later.

Disney cosplayer gets chic and sinister as Snow White’s Evil Queen – Dexerto
Disney cosplayer gets chic and sinister as Snow White’s Evil Queen Yaya Han / DisneyIconic cosplayer Yaya Han is now lending her talents to the Evil Queen of Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with disconcerting, breathtaking results. In the Snow White fairytale and Disney adaptation, the Evil Queen is obsessed with being “the fairest of them all,” to the point where she engages in the unfair deception of her stepdaughter, Princess Snow White. In the real world, Yaya Han is so committed to spooking fans with sophistication that she has engaged in one of the most ornate Evil Queen cosplays we’ve ever seen. Mirror mirror… I always feel so decadent and elegant whenever I wear my Evil Queen costume. From the crown headpiece to the sharp silhouetted dress dripping with appliqué and beads, this is a cosplay to float in. Photos by Anna Fisher/@kayhettin, @OMG_Dj_Judy and @Ferpsf 🖤💜 pic.twitter.com/8BzlIqpJbo— Yaya Han (@YayaHan) May 20, 2020 Apple in hand, dressed in dark purple and black, accented by the appliqué of feathers and beads—Han paints a sharp, eye-popping figure as the evil Queen. From the lace gloves to the pointed headdress and immaculate cape, the attention to detail is peak inspiration for aspiring cosplay amateurs. Han, though, is a professional. A cosplayer, model and costume designer, Han has been a fixture in the cosplay community for years and even has her own line of materials at Joann Fabrics. Aside from her work at conventions, she’s also been featured on television as part of Syfy’s Heroes of Cosplay series and as a guest judge on TBS’ King of the Nerds show. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6bE1gfnecD/ No longer a judge nor a king, Han has instead transformed into the queen of wickedness, but with a Maleficent-esque twist on the popular villain’s traditional garb. While Evil Queen is typically depicted as enveloped in traditional royal attire or, as the Old Witch, in a simple black robe—Han has pushed against the understated outfit and instead leaned into the Evil Queen’s energy with intricate details fit for a character so vain. Gone are the golden crown, purple sleeves and white collar that served to accentuate her imposing nobility. Han replaced all of those elements with exaggerations of the Evil Queen’s more sinister details like sharp pointed lace cuffs and the distinct headdress widow’s peak. Ever the team player, Han credits Anna Fisher, Kay Hettin, DJ Judy and Fernando Brischetto for helping put together her photography. Recreating an iconic villain is great, but reinventing her look to emphasize the archetype is a wholly more impressive feat.

Diablo cosplayer rallies the heavens as angelic Auriel – Dexerto
Diablo cosplayer rallies the heavens as angelic Auriel Blizzard Entertainment, danii_marvelousDiablo’s Auriel is one of the devilish franchise’s most beloved characters, and this cosplayer has recreated her to bring some light to the darkened plains of Sanctuary. While the majestic Tyrael and fearsome Diablo are often the first characters that spring to mind when you think of Blizzard’s hack and slash dungeon crawler, the Archangel of Hope, Auriel, has very much cemented her place within the hearts of the fanbase. Rallying the heavens in their time of need, Auriel’s purity has enchanted cosplayers across Sanctuary, with several artists seeking to recreate her angelic likeness. One of these talented cosplayers is Danii, whose spectacular rendition of heaven’s sweetheart will have fans in awe. Diablo Auriel cosplay is an absolute showstopper Choosing to cosplay Auriel because it was “love at first sight,” Danii told Dexerto that “it was a dream to build a bigger cosplay with wings, so Auriel was in the back of my head for a while. “I instantly knew that this was the character for my first full body armor. The colors are so beautiful, I love how the blue and the gold match perfectly together. Oh, and did I mention that it has wings?!” Noting that the process took “around 300 – 350 hours from start to finish,” she debuted her heavenly cosplay at Fantasy Basel 2021. The work clearly paid off, as every single detail perfectly mirrors the character. From that dusky golden armor with its sky blue trim, to those ghostly aqua wings that are so unique to Diablo’s angels, you’d be forgiven if you assumed this was an in-game image of Auriel. View this post on Instagram It’s likely that her Diablo cosplay journey doesn’t end here, though, but her plans are to trade in her halo for some fearsome demonic horns – literally. “I’ve been thinking about Lilith for a while now,” she confesses. “I guess I will make that cosplay happen someday. But who knows, maybe I will fall in love with a new character in Diablo 4.” Whether it’s illuminating the darkness or tearing down the light, we can’t wait to see Danii’s next Diablo cosplay, but we’d be lying if we said that a cosplay of the Daughter of Hatred didn’t pique our interest…

Diablo cosplayer rains heavenly justice as spectacular Tyrael – Dexerto
Diablo cosplayer rains heavenly justice as spectacular Tyrael Blizzard Entertainment, Hench & Scrap FoundryDiablo’s former Archangel of Justice, Tyrael, has become one of Sanctuary’s most famous faces, and this stunning cosplay gives him a new lease of life. For every Diablo fan, the High Heavens’ Tyrael is the strand that connects the three chapters (soon to be four) of the devilish series together. Receiving quite the glow up coming into Blizzard’s Diablo 2 remaster, Diablo 2 Resurrected, the now human Aspect of Wisdom sees a triumphant return to his former angelic glory as a product of the enhanced 4k graphics. Not only has he been given a breath of fresh air in-game, but he’s also been brought back down to our real-life Sanctuary by Adelaide-based cosplay duo, Hench & Scrap Foundry, in one of the most spectacular looks we’ve ever seen. Diablo Tyrael cosplay is here to see justice done With the combined efforts of Scrap Shop Props (Oarin) and Henchwench (Clare), this stunning recreation of the iconic Diablo character has etched itself into the annals of Sanctuary’s history. A project commissioned by Blizzard themselves, Clare told Dexerto that “they asked us to come up with an idea for something we could make for the Diablo II: Resurrected launch. Oarin has always wanted to make Tyrael, it’s a bucket list cosplay for him, so we suggested that, and then Blizzard greenlit the project.” “I’ve always loved doing heavily armored builds, more so if they’re intricately detailed,” confesses Oarin. “White and gold colour schemes have always had a special place in my heart, too. Combine all these elements and you get a Tyrael!” It’s not just the Archangel’s heavenly color scheme that attracted the pair, however, it was their love for the iconic franchise. While Clare describes herself as “a Diablo 3 baby,” Oarin recalls that “I played Diablo 2 in the late 00’s with a group of friends at LAN parties… There was a period of time there where it was actually the only game I had access to while I was away from home stuck with a yellowed-plastic PC from the 90’s!” Their love for all things bloodstained and hellish truly shines through with this spectacular look, as every little detail is crafted to perfection. From the golden plates of the armor to the silver inlays that swirl across the breastplate, everything is masterfully recreated. Oh, and did we mention that the duo have even made those iconic wispy wings? View this post on Instagram “Something we didn’t have time to highlight in the making of video was the wings!” Oarin states. “I sketched out a massive grid on paper and transferred the exact curvature of a scaled down version of the wings to it. From there it was easy to heat form the acrylic tube that would act as the wings structure. “Then COB LED strip was run down its length, and the tubes were wrapped in plastic for some extra body. Powering that amount of COB was certainly a challenge though, it was far more current than most of our normal cosplay LED’s (2812B’s.)” Clare confesses that that this cosplay was “definitely the most complex costume we’ve ever made,” so much so that “we added an extra FDM 3D printer to our workshop (we had three, now we have four) just for this one job because we knew we’d need to print so many parts at once.” View this post on Instagram For a full 360 degree view of the cosplay, the pair enlisted cosplay photographer and videographer, Steamkittens, to give fans a panoramic view of this stunning piece of art (see above.) As the two continue to tear through the dimly lit caverns and bloody dungeons of Diablo 2 Resurrected together, we can wait to see what emerges on the other side. Will we see Oarin embody Diablo himself next time around? Or is it Clare’s turn to give the likes of Auriel or Lilith a shot? Either way, we can wait to see what the team cook up next!

Electing to cosplay as the queen of darkness because “the design of the character was perfect,” bringing her to life has been no easy task. “I’m still working on it,” she confesses. “There’s a lot of details left to finish. The most difficult part was sculpting the texture for the horns, shoulder parts & details on the corset.” That hard work, however, has been truly worth it. Every little touch on this cosplay is completely perfect, from those twisting horns to her armored shoulders and tattered ebony dress. Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplayer strikes from the shadows as stealthy Assassin – Dexerto
Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplayer strikes from the shadows as stealthy Assassin Blizzard Entertainment, Natalya Scheraya,One Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplayer is ready to slay demons and take names with her stunning rendition of the Assassin. Diablo fans across the globe have spent their weekends diving into the new and improved Diablo 2 Resurrected, Blizzard’s highly anticipated remaster of the original title. Not only are players finally getting to see the desolate plains of Sanctuary in all their gory glory, but they’re also finally getting their hands on the stealthy Assassin, who was previously unavailable during the Tech Alpha and Beta runs of the game. Despite controversy surrounding her in-game appearance, one cosplayer has brought their version of the shadowy character to life in a cosplay that would even send shivers down Diablo’s spine. Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplay gets Blizzard’s approval Russian cosplayer Wolnir_cosplay (better known as Natalya) is ready to slay Hell’s finest in style with her stunning Assassin cosplay, and has even managed to score Blizzard’s seal of approval in the process! “Diablo was (and still is) my favorite game from childhood,” she told Dexerto, and the release of Diablo 2 Resurrected inspired her to bring her favorite character to life. “The Assassin class in Diablo was my favorite since I was a little girl. I don’t even know why, perhaps something in design or weapons (katars and claws are the best!) that I really liked while everyone else seemed to enjoy the Sorceress or Barbarian.” Cosplaying the Assassin wasn’t just a choice, though, it was fate. After discovering that the Assassin NPC located in Act 3’s Kurast Docks was her namesake, Natalya told Dexerto that “since my real name is Natalya (it even spells exactly the same) I thought this was my destiny!” From then on in, her cosplay was clearly destined for greatness. Despite joking that the look’s construction had her “crying in despair,” she’s no doubt crying with happiness now seeing her work finally complete. From the worn armor on her shoulders to those deadly katars, Natalya has truly become Sanctuary’s next hero. View this post on Instagram “I liked how the armor and leather parts looked in the remaster. But I still loved (aesthetically) her naked legs and makeup from the original game, so I had to merge two designs together to make a new version of Assassin adding Natalya’s signature cloak.” What’s even cooler is that she confirms “no velcro or any ‘modern’ materials were used: it just doesn’t need that! Leather strips with little metal buckles hold everything in place and it works just like real armor.” View this post on Instagram This stunning recreation of D2R’s shadowy warrior hasn’t just captured our imaginations, though, it has also caught Blizzard’s attention. With the official Diablo Twitter account retweeting her fearsome look, she’s even earned Blizzard’s bloody seal of approval. Read More: Diablo 2 Resurrected review – “I love this game with all my heart and I still replay it once every couple of years,” she confesses, and her passion for the game shines through in everything she told us. We can’t wait to watch her Diablo journey unfold, especially if Natalya manages to sneak her way into Diablo 4. She jokingly pleads “I really hope they will show her in Diablo 4, please, Blizzard, we need that,” but she’s got us desperate for a little Assassin cameo, too. After all, we need Wolnir’s D4 Natalya cosplay in our lives!

Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplayer slays the hordes as fearsome Amazon – Dexerto
Diablo 2 Resurrected cosplayer slays the hordes as fearsome Amazon Blizzard Entertainment, Instagram: tanysa_cosplayDiablo 2 Resurrected has quite the cast of heroes, and one cosplayer has brought the gladiator-inspired Amazon to life with her stunning cosplay. Diablo 2 Resurrected‘s warrior queen, The Amazon, has caused quite the stir within the game’s community. From being compared to legendary actor Willem Defoe to apparently being censored, she can’t quite catch a break. Recent adjustments to her in-game model, though, have been a hit with the community. With her face redesigned to be more feminine, it seems like the character has finally won the hearts of Diablo’s OG playerbase. However, just to add some further hype to Diablo’ 2 Resurrected’s Amazon transformation, one cosplayer has brought the demon slayer to life in a spectacular outfit. Cosplayer stuns as Diablo 2 Resurrected’s Amazon French cosplayer tanysa_cosplay (Tanysa) has recreated the Amazon in the style of Heroes of the Storm’s Cassia. The HoTS character is an Amazon Warmatron, inspired by Diablo 2’s original Amazon warrior. Every detail of Tanysa’s cosplay screams Diablo 2 Resurrected’s Amazon, though. That iconic red armor has been perfectly crafted, with every little golden inlay perfectly framing the battle-worn leather. Perfectly recreating Cassia’s deadly javelin and protective shield, the Amazon’s signature weapon set in Diablo 2, she looks as though she’s ready to fearlessly shred through the hordes of hell. Guarding her head is a signature Amazonian helmet, designed to incorporate her long, flowing hair. From the tips of the delicate wings that frame the headpiece to those battered sandal-esque boots, everything about Tanysa’s Amazon is perfect. View this post on Instagram She’s even included a bonus image from the back, proving that all of those intricate details aren’t confined to the front of this stunning look. View this post on Instagram With Diablo 2 Resurrected almost upon us, the Amazon will have to take up her mantle once more to defend Sanctuary from the Prime Evil’s tyranny. Tanysa’s Amazon is ready to do just that, and we can’t wait to see where her cosplay journey takes her – hopefully not into the bowels of the Burning Hells!

Destiny 2 cosplayer unleashes the Darkness as haunting Hive Wizard – Dexerto
Destiny 2 cosplayer unleashes the Darkness as haunting Hive Wizard BungieAs The Darkness draws near in Destiny 2, a Hive Wizard has already made its way to Earth as this cosplayer has brought a stunning Brood Queen costume to life. While most video game cosplays tend to highlight heroic figures, that’s never quite the case when it comes to Destiny. Rather than forging standard Guardian armor, some have opted for a nightmarish Hive mixture with Eris Morn instead. That trend has continued with an ominous Hive Wizard being the focus of the next jaw-dropping cosplay. The Witch Queen Savathûn won’t be in focus until 2021’s expansion, but one of her disciples has already appeared on Earth. Australian cosplayer ‘SpartanJenzii’ has painstakingly created a terrifying Brood Queen costume. While it does not feature complete just yet, the cosplay has already grabbed the attention of the Destiny community. With its impressive scale and remarkable detail, it’s even left a few developers stunned as well. This cosplay is almost doneeeeeeeee! Hehe. Hope everyone been well! #destiny2cosplay #inAnanhcosplay #broodqueencosplay @Bungie pic.twitter.com/VLbpAW0N0Z — Spartan Jenzii (@SpartanJenzii) July 21, 2020 Brood Queens are rarely seen in Destiny. They often hide away in the shadows, birthing hundreds if not thousands of Hive to grow their forces. As a result, they’re larger than most Hive Wizards and this size is reflected in the massive costume. The headpiece alone is more than a meter wide and the shoulder plates stick out just as far. With details carved into every inch of its sharp bones, the cosplay is just as haunting as its in-game counterpart. One particular feature of the creation is that SpartanJenzii has full control of real-time effects. “I have completed the lights and smoke machine,” she shared on May 27. “I added a trigger so I can control the smoke,” allowing the costume to give off an even more threatening aura. Despite the Brood Queen still being in development, an early look caught the Destiny community by storm. Even Destiny 2 Director Luke Smith was blown away by the design. “Oh my stars this is amazing,” he responded on July 21. View this post on Instagram With an easily detachable faceplate, it could even make for an ideal cosplay once conventions get back underway. While no end is in sight for the cosplay just yet, the creator assured that “it’s getting there.” Destiny 2’s next major expansion Beyond Light may have just been delayed but the game’s community is clearly as passionate as ever. Perhaps more costumes will soon be on the way as The Darkness takes a little longer to leave its mark in-game.

Depressing Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay makes it a terrible day for rain – Dexerto
Depressing Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay makes it a terrible day for rain If you’re looking to spend your December days in tears, then Fullmetal Alchemist’s Nina Tucker will surely do that for you – especially with this tearjerker of a cosplay. You don’t even have to be a Fullmetal Alchemist fan or ever watched it to know that something terrible happens involving a little girl and a dog – it’s absolutely everywhere online. Any time somebody so much as mentions it, you always see comments like “too soon bro” and “why?”, but one cosplayer has taken it to the next level. Nina Tucker comes to life… As Colonel Roy Mustang would say, it’s a terrible day for rain. And this take on Nina Tucker and her pet dog is sure to bring a tear to the eye. Cosplay artist Bunny D. Sumi decided to bring the loveable five-year-old from the show to life, along with her trusty canine Alexander. If you don’t know the backstory, then the costume looks like an innocent girl with her best friend, but viewers of Episode 6 of Fullmetal Alchemist and Episode 4 of Brotherhood will know why it’s so heartbreaking – if you plan on watching it, bring tissues. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4_TmlmBWBr/ Bunny perfectly captures the child’s innocent spirit with her cosplay, and even uses her own Great Pyrenees dog named Chamois to showcase the “inseparable” bond between the character and her pooch. Nina is the daughter of Shou Tucker, a State Alchemist known for his Sewing-Life skills. The episode centres around main protagonists Ed and Alphonse Elric’s visit to his home. There, they meet the young girl and become close with her as they play together and learn about how she’s lonely as her mother left two years ago. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5DNNTeBvPo/ Bunny is a self-proclaimed “newbie” at cosplaying, but that doesn’t stop her from breaking the hearts of Fullmetal Alchemist fans across the internet. While her dog Chamois stars in this cosplay, she’s a true animal lover as she’s also used other pets such as her chinchilla to create some true-to-life outfits.

Demon Slayer cosplayer celebrates series as protagonist Tanjiro Kamado – Dexerto
Demon Slayer cosplayer celebrates series as protagonist Tanjiro Kamado Instagram: @hashbrowncosplayHashbrown Cosplay, an award-winning cosplayer known for her breathtaking transformations, honored Demon Slayer fans with an incredible take on Tanjiro Kamado. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two years since Demon Slayer first released in April 2019. In that time, it’s already become a smash hit worldwide, reinforced by the fact that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train was the highest-grossing film in 2020. Fans are eagerly waiting for the show’s second season, which is expected to launch in the second half of the year. However, cosplayers like Hashbrown Cosplay are keeping them entertained with life-like re-creations of their favorite characters. For one of her latest projects, Hashbrown Cosplay brought Tanjiro Kamado to life in the real world. “Tanjiro holds a special place in my heart,” she said. “He is the purest soul and so kind to others and so sweet.” Her affinity for the character motivated her to have a crack at cosplaying him, and like all of her other cosplays, it turned out great. She nailed every detail, from the green and black haori covering the Demon Slayer uniform to the black hair with burgundy tips, katana, and of course, the fierce gaze. View this post on Instagram Some fans claimed it was her best cosplay yet, which is a big call considering how good each one is in its own right. But given how amazing it looks, we’re inclined to agree. Hashbrown Cosplay’s talents shine through once again. Demon Slayer fan takes control with stunning Spider Mother cosplay – Dexerto
Demon Slayer fan takes control with stunning Spider Mother cosplay Anna AifertOne fan of the Demon Slayer anime has come up with a stunning Spider Mother cosplay that is practically the character come to life. Demon Slayer is set to have a big 2021, with a new movie starting to premiere outside of Japan in February, and an entirely new show coming sometime later on in the year. With the adventures of Tanjiro and Nezuko continuing, there’s plenty for fans to get excited about – and the way things seem to be going, plenty of great cosplays to look forward to, as well. The Spider Mother was introduced during the Natagumo Mountain Arc, as a demon who turns fallen enemies into puppets with her webs. While Tanjiro eventually takes her out, the character’s still a fan-favorite for her unique look, and Russian cosplayer Anna Aifert basically became the demon’s incarnation in the real world right when the movie started to premier outside of Japan. Piercing ice blue eyes and those distinctive face tattoos do a great job of standing out against the spider-web white skin and hair of the character here. Combined with the jewelry and blue beads in her hair, this cosplay is probably what the Spider Mother demon would actually look like, if or when Demon Slayer gets a live-action adaptation. View this post on Instagram Sadly, if you live in the states, you’ll have a while longer to wait before you can see the new film, with theatres pushing back screenings due to ongoing global events. Fans in the EU are in a similar boat, with no set release date outside of Switzerland, Germany, or Austria (late March). Pretty much the only place you can see it right now outside of Japan is in Australia and New Zealand, so consider yourselves lucky, Southern Hemisphere friends. The rest of us will just have to get by on the anime and great cosplays like this until we can join on the fun.

Demon Slayer fan slithers into perfect Obanai Iguro cosplay – Dexerto
Demon Slayer fan slithers into perfect Obanai Iguro cosplay Instagram: haniekuar / FunimationThe merciless Obanai Iguro might not be one of the most popular Demon Slayer characters, but Malay cosplayer ‘haniekuar’ has managed to pull off a stunning rendition of the Corps member. Iguro’s story in Demon Slayer is quite an interesting one. He’s very dedicated to the cause of the Demon Slayer Corps, almost to a fault. His harsh and strict personality has caught him in more than his fair share of bad situations. It stems from a rough upbringing — not unlike any of the other members of the Corps — where he was born into a selfish, Demon-sacrificing clan. However, that doesn’t mean he’s cold: all he wants to do is cleanse his bloodline and stop the scourge of the Twelve Kizuki. He only made a brief appearance at the end of Season 1 of the anime, but that hasn’t stopped fans from falling in love with the character. Ahead of Season 2, Malay cosplayer haniekuar took it upon themselves to bring Obanai to life. The cosplay might seem simple enough — given the Demon Slayer uniform is typically just a robe — however, it’s the small intricate details that count, and Hanie has those in spades. View this post on Instagram They made sure to get everything down pat, from the heterochromatic eyes to the bandages strapped across Iguro’s mouth and legs. Hanie even made a snake just like the one Iguro has in the anime as part of his Serpent Breathing power. “I felt like I portrayed Iguro unexpectedly well here,” the cosplayer told fans on Instagram. Funnily enough, Hanie did a duo cosplay with their friend, who was dressed up as Mitsuri Kanroji. Given Iguro has a crush on Mitsuri in Demon Slayer, it’s a perfect pairing. View this post on Instagram Of course, we’ve only been given a slight look at Iguro in the first season of Demon Slayer. With Season 2, we will get to see more of the Demon Slayer Corps member, and maybe see a softer side in him.

Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into dazzling butterfly Shinobu Kocho – Dexerto
Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into dazzling butterfly Shinobu Kocho Viz Media / @taimun_cosTaiMun, a versatile cosplayer who hails from Italy, pulled off the perfect transformation into Insect Pillar Shinobu Kochu, the butterfly-themed swordswoman from the Demon Slayer Corps. Shinobu Kocho is perhaps the most popular supporting character in Demon Slayer, particularly among cosplayers. There’s something magnetic about her eerily calm demeanor, her butterfly-like appearance, and powerful skills. She’s more than just a skilled swordswoman, though. She’s also an expert in medicine and pharmacology, which ties into her insect theme. For that reason, part of her duty is to save allies from demonic venoms and poisons. TaiMun is a versatile cosplayer who has transformed into everything from My Hero Academia’s Froppy and Himiko Toga to Naruto’s Sakura Haruno and more. Demon Slayer cosplays were missing from her impressive resume, though. So, she decided to change that by metamorphosing into Shinobu Kochu, and it couldn’t have turned out better. Not only does it have Shinobu’s butterfly hair clip perched on top of her black and purple hair from the top, she even threw in purple contact lenses to match her eyes. It complements the rest of the outfit perfectly. View this post on Instagram Demon Slayer cosplays have been all the rage since Season 2 launched, especially ones that turn out as good as this. After all, it’s one thing to see your favorite characters in the show. But seeing them in the flesh, thanks to the hard work of talented cosplayers like TaiMun, has a special kind of charm.

Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into perfect version of Nezuko Kamado – Dexerto
Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into perfect version of Nezuko Kamado Instagram: renvari.cos / UfotableA talented Demon Slayer cosplayer has pulled out an almost perfect rendition of one of the anime’s most recognizable characters, showing off an incredible version of Nezuko Kamado. No anime captured the hearts and eyes of viewers quite like Demon Slayer in 2019, debuting to immediate praise from audience members compelled by the show’s dark themes and interesting characters. Perhaps none are more fascinating than Nezuko Kamado, the sister of the anime’s main character Tanjiro. The show follows the boy on a journey to avenge his family, who were brutally killed by demons, before turning his sister into one of them, with the duo heading out into the world to defeat the monsters, and find a cure for Kamado’s transition that will return her to human form permanently. With the Demon Slayer anime becoming so popular, it’s no surprise that many are cosplaying as the show’s main characters, but few have managed to capture Nezuko as well as Allie, who goes by renvari.cos on Instagram. The 20-year-old managed to capture the essence of the human-turned-demon perfectly and created the outfit she wears in the show perfectly, including her pink and white robes, and the green belt she wears around her waist. She even managed to recreate the bright-yet-frightening pink eyes that appeared when Nezuko was transformed into a demon, and her long black hair flows down past her shoulders just like the character. View this post on Instagram Jumping on the Nezuko bandwagon (´。・・。)? I genuinely enjoyed Demon Slayer though and I feel so cute as her! I have so much animation and illustration work to do ahead of time, so I’ll be able to relax and enjoy the con. Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into jaw-dropping Nezuko Kamado Instagram: sakuravee_ / UfotableDemon Slayer has quickly become one of the most popular animes in the world, and a talented cosplayer has shown off their incredible take on one of the series’ most recognizable characters, Nezuko Kamado. Few shows have captured the attention of audience worldwide like Demon Slayer did in 2019, as viewers followed the story of Tanjiro, a young man determined to avenge his family who were brutally killed by a group of demons, and turned his sister into one of the creatures as well. Desperate to find a cure for his sibling , Tanjiro joins the Demon Corps, and vows to kill any of the monsters he sees while searching for a way to bring his sister back to human form permanently. While the story’s main character may be Tanjiro, Nezuko became a fan-favorite almost immediately, and her unique look has prompted fans across the world to dress up as the character. Cosplayer ‘sakuravee_’ has become the latest Demon Slayer fan to show off their incredible version of the character, debuting a look that could be lifted directly off the screen due to its incredible detail and accuracy. One of the things that makes Nekuzo so recognizable is the bamboo gag she wears around her neck, which is often found in her mouth. While this may look a little odd, it serves an important purpose, as she bites down on it when she gets the urge to kill humans, stopping her from tearing into the people around her, and proving that there is still some humanity left inside her even after her transformation. Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into cunning demon Doma – Dexerto
Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into cunning demon Doma Viz Media / Instagram: ygodm2If you’re an anime-only Demon Slayer fan, you probably haven’t heard much about Doma yet. However, in anticipation for Season 2, Japanese cosplayer Kuzuko is bringing the hype as the third-highest ranking member of the Twelve Kizuki and playing the villain perfectly. Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Demon Slayer manga and anime. For every good story, there’s the heroes and the villains. In Demon Slayer, that’s the Demon Slayer Corps — looking to protect humanity — and the Twelve Kizuki threatening to kill them all. There’s hardly a more powerful demon in the franchise than the nonchalant Doma. Holding the position of Upper Rank Two within the Twelve Kizuki, his powers are something to behold. Having transformed into a demon a century before the show was set, Doma’s two-faced personality has led many people to their peril. He brings in many loyal followers to his cult, before devouring them mercilessly, all while fending off the Demon Slayers looking to take him down. It’s a lot to take in a cosplay, especially given his character design is stunning. However, Japanese cosplayer ‘Kuzuko’ has managed to do just that. 【コスプレ】鬼滅の刃/童磨 上弦の弐 “”万世極楽教””Photo by yoriさん Special thanks ドスおじさん pic.twitter.com/2JOKuwnHkq— 巴くずこ💎 (@ygodm2) November 21, 2019 They’ve managed to portray the elegant Demon perfectly, with a very intricate robe — more so than Doma actually wears in the manga. They also recreated Doma’s gold-plated fans, one of the many tools in his arsenal. Kuzuko topped it all off with a perfectly manicured wig — golden blond, just as it’s described in the manga — and his hat. The only thing that’s missing is Doma’s spectacular rainbow colored eyes, but that’d be almost impossible to pull off in reality. They even pose with one of Shinobu’s butterflies in the photoshoot — we’ll let you connect the dots from there. View this post on Instagram We haven’t quite had the chance to see Doma’s adaptation into the anime yet — that’s coming in the upcoming Season 2, which is likely to drop sometime in 2021, although no date has been locked in yet. However, when he does, you can expect him to look just like Kuzuko’s cosplay.

Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into beautiful butterfly Shinobu Kocho – Dexerto
Demon Slayer cosplayer transforms into beautiful butterfly Shinobu Kocho Instagram: aka_purin / UfotableShinobu Kocho might look innocent from afar, but if you’re a demon and you get too close, you’ll see the deadly side of the butterfly. She’s a popular Demon Slayer character to cosplay, but ‘aka_purin’ has truly put together one of the most beautiful designs yet. Shinobu Kocho is a fan-favorite in Demon Slayer, and it’s easy to see why. Not only does the Demon Corps member possess incredible powers to heal friends and harm demons, but she is one of the most beautiful characters in the show. Her personality is a difficult one to channel though. While she’s seemingly innocent on the outside, deep inside of her, there’s a rebellious rage to get revenge. It’s one thing to make a cosplay, put it on, and take a picture. It’s another thing to really channel what a character is all about, and that’s what sets ‘aka_purin’ apart from the other Shinobu cosplayers. Sharing the intricate design on her Twitter, the Polish cosplayer spared no expense and left no stone unturned in her flawless design. Her hair and makeup is perfect, even getting the butterflies pinned. She also created her special katana, which is based on an insect’s “stinger” more than a blade itself. The tattered, battle-worn hilt and blade is a wonderful addition to the cosplay that really ties it all together. That’s the special thing about purin’s cosplay too. Every element just ties everything together. While even just one of these things would be pretty special in a cosplay, being able to jam it all in one photo is the most beautiful thing of all. View this post on Instagram The Shinobu design might be her latest, but she’s unsure on what her next project will be. “I feel like I’m having an art block lately. I just have so many ideas and costumes to shoot but I just can’t put myself up for it,” she admitted on her Instagram. No matter what it is though, we bet Purin will knock our socks off.

There’s plenty of good ones to pick from, but ‘kyatorin’ has pulled off a stellar rendition of the Insect Pillar that has fans swooning. As far as cosplaying characters go, it’s hard to find a more popular one than Demon Slayer’s Shinobu Kocho. She also found a replica of Shinobu’s katana, wielding it in the snow. It’s a stunning cosplay that thousands of her fans have fallen in love with.
