Cyberpunk 2077 cosplayer blends style & violence in stunning Moxes look Instagram, @roga_no_roge / CD ProjektCosplayer ‘roga_na_noge’ has done Cyberpunk 2077’s Moxes gang justice with a look that blends eclectic, colorful fast fashion and unadulterated punk energy. The Moxes are one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most beloved gangs already, for their bright aesthetic and staunch commitment to mutual self-defense. Angie, otherwise known as roga_na_noge, put together a cosplay that celebrates the group with a series of shots that look like they were ripped straight from Night City. Without spoiling much, according to the CD Projekt title’s lore, the Moxes were founded in 2067 on the basis of mutual self-defense for under-protected communities. Clothed in a melange of colorful fast fashion and edgy, spiked punk regalia, the gang’s name is based on a North American slang term, “moxie.” That term generally refers to a “force of character” and Angie embodies that spirit with a cosplay that is as forcefully colorful as it is seemingly prepared for violence. With inspiration from the game’s gang and an artist, ‘tuabb’s,’ cyberpunk design, this cosplay has props, spikes, and eclecticism galore. View this post on Instagram The Moxes were founded by workers in the escort and adjacent industries and, as such, they maintain their style and of those who they aim to protect. It’s no surprise then, that Angie has opted for a cosplay that echoes colorful, revealing fast fashion. But a gang wouldn’t be very capable in the lines of defense without an inclination toward violence, so the punk aesthetic is blended seamlessly into the look with sharp spikes, military accessories, and a large pistol. Read more: Best streamer reactions to Cyberpunk 2077 – In her original caption, she explains that this is an “original design” but with inspiration from tuabb, who drew a “Cyberpunk Girl” design months ago for a Borderlands project. View this post on Instagram While Angie’s version pulls much of its sourcing from that inspo, it still fits perfectly with the Moxes and the Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetic. The most major departure from the original art is the removal of tuabb’s rabbit helmet and replacement with what appear to be night-vision goggles. And, of course, Angie opted for a bright Moxes tattoo below her breastplate instead of the various different tattoos that Tuabb had originally drawn on. View this post on Instagram Set against a backdrop with the game’s logo, Angie’s cosplay feels like a perfect fit for the title. Somehow, rocking rare Nike Air Prestos with neon colors feels perfectly fitting alongside the pistol and mismatched outfit. Also fitting is the caption for her final shot of the look, one describing the gang succinctly: “MOXES, they are far from being saints and those who protect.”

Cyberpunk 2077 fan joins Trauma Team with amazing MagFest cosplay – Dexerto
Cyberpunk 2077 fan joins Trauma Team with amazing MagFest cosplay CD Projekt Red, Reddit: mednik97For MAGFest 2023, a Cyberpunk 2077 fan wore cosplay inspired by the role-playing game’s in-universe Trauma Team. An emergency response group, Trauma Team International featured in some of the first pieces of content shown for Cyberpunk 2077. The corporation and its workers have also received quite a bit of attention beyond the game. Months after the RPG’s launch, Dark Horse Comics published Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team, a graphic novel that follows the lone survivor of a TTI-involved shootout. Trauma Team featured heavily in Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, too. It’s no wonder, then, that cosplayers have taken a liking to the armored EMT look. Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay stuns at MAGFest 2023 Reddit user mednik97 attended MAGFest 2023 in Maryland earlier this year. They didn’t show up empty-handed, though. Instead, the Redditor wore cosplay inspired by the Cyberpunk universe’s Trauma Team. The look came complete with the crew’s stylized helmet and visor, padding, and a weapon that looked as though it was ripped from a Cyberpunk 2077 screenshot. It’s an incredible effort from someone who said this marked their first attempt at cosplay. Of course, other users had questions about the visibility inside the helmet, to which mednik97 responded: “The front visor is velcro so it pops in and out easily; the padding also gives me a slit of vision between the lower mask and the visor panel.” Cosplay isn’t the only way the fan community is getting involved in the world of Cyberpunk. Late last year, CD Projekt Red hosted a music contest for those interested in hearing their tracks in Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC. Yesterday, the studio announced the winners, meaning Cyberpunk 2077’s new radio station, 89.7 Growl FM, will feature 14 fan-made songs. The confirmed list of genres for the new station includes Electronic, Metal, and Hip-Hop.

Cute Pokemon cosplay proves Marnie is the best Sword & Shield character – Dexerto
Cute Pokemon cosplay proves Marnie is the best Sword & Shield character A skilled Pokemon cosplayer shared an adorable take on Sword & Shield’s Marnie that showcases exactly why she’s a fan favorite pick. In the Nintendo Switch titles, Marnie is one of the main protagonist’s opponents when fighting for a chance to beat Leon and become the Pokemon Champion. Fans love her, and cosplayer Morgan Foy is no exception, who shared one of the best takes on the Dark-type lover we’ve seen to date. Marnie comes to life What’s interesting about the cosplayer’s outfit and something that catches the eye straight away is her recreation of the character’s hair, which is made to look like she’s jumped straight out of the game itself and into real life. The wig is created out of foam, and is shaded in a way that still makes it look realistic, and when teamed with the Spikemuth-born Trainer’s straight eyebrows and thick eyeliner, it takes it to the next level. Morgan even nailed Marnie’s iconic choker necklace, and her signature black leather jacket for that perfect punk rock vibe. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6B_t9dj9Y1/ In another shot, the artist shows off a more full-length view of her work, and gets the cutouts on the bottom of the character’s pink dress down perfectly. She mimics the details of her chunky boots with amazing accuracy too, and even includes the raised pink tips at the front, making for some insane attention to detail. The Pokeball really tops off the look, and pulls the whole thing together, making Marnie look like the badass Pokemon Trainer that she is in the games. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6lbbTXjIof/ Morgan’s designs resonates with many as she currently boasts over 24,300 followers on Instagram at this time of writing. While she pulls off an amazing Pokemon cosplay, the model has also recreated looks from other pop culture hits such as My Hero Academia, Monster Hunter, and Overwatch.

Creepy BioShock cosplayer bodypaints her way under the sea as a Little Sister – Dexerto
Creepy BioShock cosplayer bodypaints her way under the sea as a Little Sister Instagram: charrar.b / 2K GamesIt’s been 14 years since Little Sisters first creeped everyone out in the original BioShock but this bodypainting expert is here to remind us all of the fright once again. Little Sisters were a terrifying sight when first venturing around Rapture. While they never posed a threat by themselves, spotting one always meant that a Big Daddy wasn’t far behind. Choosing whether to harvest or rescue them was one of the biggest decisions players had to make every time an encounter kicked off. Regardless of which way you leaned, there’s no denying their genetic alterations gave off a terrifying visual. Their pale skin matched with bright yellow eyes was an unmistakable look as they hunted down corpses in the underwater city. More than a decade later and that chilling look has been captured in a completely unique way thanks to some bodypainting skills from ‘charrar.b.’ View this post on Instagram After taking on characters from the likes of Halo, Overwatch, and Borderlands, the British body painter turned her sights to the BioShock series. From the chest up, she transformed herself into an ominous Little Sister. A spitting image of their model in-game, her costume featured a bright purple top with a matching bow. Beyond that, every other part of her body was covered with dim grey paint to discolor her skin and match that of the underwater children. With her eyes closed, she completed the look with the disturbing yellow glow sure to make anyone frightened. Every aspect of the design was brought together with paint and nothing more. Revealing her path in the first game, the body painter explained why she “always rescued” Little Sisters in BioShock. “I couldn’t bring myself to harvest,” she said. “They’re just too cute.” While this work of art was enough to explode on Reddit, the creator appears eager to work on another BioShock figure in the future. “Big Daddy next,” she joked, adding that she’d “love to” work on the protective character at some stage. Be sure to check her full range of work on more than a dozen memorable characters, including none other than Elizabeth from BioShock Infinite.

Cowboy Bebop fans will fall in love with awesome Faye Valentine cosplay – Dexerto
Cowboy Bebop fans will fall in love with awesome Faye Valentine cosplay Instagram: ohmysophii / SunriseCowboy Bebop is one of the most popular animes ever, and one fan of the show has demonstrated their love for one of the main characters, debuting an incredibly accurate cosplay of Faye Valentine. The show, which debuted in 1998, is credited with introducing anime to a brand-new wave of viewers in the early 2000s and follows the story of a group of bounty hunters, referred to as Cowboys, as they travel around the solar system in search of criminals aboard their spaceship Bebop. The crew is made up of five main characters, Jet Black, Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, Edward, and Ein, a dysfunctional group of outcasts working together to apprehend bad guys in exchange for money. While Spike and Jet were originally the only crew on the Bebop, Faye joined the ranks in later episodes, making herself at home aboard the ship despite the pair’s attempts to get her to leave, becoming a permanent member and assisting them on missions — when she feels like it. Valentine is widely regarded as being the laziest member of the Bebop crew, regularly spotted lounging on the ship while the rest of the gang try to apprehend those who are on the run, preferring to relax and take care of her appearance, while indulging in one of her many bad habits like drinking, smoking cigars, and forcing her own work on others to get out of doing it. While Valentine may not sound like the kind of character that fans would love, the 77-year-old who spent over 50 years frozen in suspended animation often shows her softer side throughout the show, and many are drawn to her story as she learns to trust the Bebop crew after feeling abandoned, eventually embracing her new role and home. Even though Spike and Faye’s relationship often see them bickering, she is always the first to show empathy for him and has always taken care of any injuries he sustains while on missions. Cosplayer ‘ohmysophii’ is clearly a fan, showing off her perfect version of the character, complete with the same yellow shorts and top that the character wears in the show. Valentine’s purple hair falls to her shoulders, complete with the iconic yellow hairband, while also sporting the red coat that the character is rarely seen without. Ohmysophii captured every detail, even including the black braces she wears on her torso, and the thigh-high socks she wears. Despite her sarcastic personality and fear of trusting people in case they abandon her, Valentine grows and matures of the course of the season, learning to love her new family in her own way, an arc that gripped fans eager to see her finally happy after spending 54 years frozen in space. Cowboy Bebop only ran for 26 episodes but is still lauded as a masterpiece among anime fans, so it’s no surprise that awesome cosplays like this one continue to appear.

Cowboy Bebop cosplayer shows off perfect Fay Valentine – Dexerto
Cowboy Bebop cosplayer shows off perfect Fay Valentine Instagram: LinLin_Cosplay / SunriseFew anime have become worldwide sensations quite like Cowboy Bebop, and one fan has shown their love for one the series’ best-loved characters with a picture-perfect Faye Valentine cosplay. Cowboy Bebop may have released back in 1998, but it remains as popular today as ever, with fans still talking about the incredible story of the Bebop, a spaceship made up of a ragtag crew of bounty hunters scouring the galaxy for their next easy paycheck, although it’ll come as no surprise that their missions are never quite as simple as they appear. The group has five main characters, Jet Black, Spike Spiegel, Edward, Ein, and of course, Faye Valentine, who work together to apprehend criminals in exchange for money. The show follows the crew’s ever-changing dynamic, and for many, Faye became an instant fan-favorite, with viewers across the globe drawn to her story as she finds a new family 50 after spending 50 years frozen in suspended animation. While Spike and Jet were the originally the only crew on board the Bebop, the rest of the gang joined up as the series progressed, and despite their best efforts to force her to leave, could never persuade Valentine to disembark permanently as she haphazardly helped them on missions as long as she felt like it. Faye often preferred to take care of her appearance and smoke cigars rather than chases down potential bounties, and while her lax attitude to her job doesn’t sound like traits you would expect from a character with a massive fanbase, her story of an outcast who finds a new family in a place she never expected has captured the hearts of viewers for over 20 years and continues to do so until this day. It’s no surprise that she is often cosplayed then, and Instagram user ‘linlin_cosplay‘ has become the latest to show off their take, and quite possibly the best, we’ve ever seen. Cosplayers show off stunning Fullmetal Alchemist Lust and Envy outfits – Dexerto
Cosplayers show off stunning Fullmetal Alchemist Lust and Envy outfits A group of cosplayers have shown off their take on Fullmetal Alchemist with some incredible Envy and Lust outfits. Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most popular anime and manga series in the world. It’s based around two teenagers who uncover a sinister plot threatening their country and fight off a countless number of villains in an attempt to stop it. The main villains are based on the seven deadly sins – Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride. Two of these, Envy and Lust, have now been turned into a mind-blowing cosplay that is sure to wow people that aren’t fans of the series. Cosplayers ‘Molza’ and ‘Tajfu’ showed off their stunningly accurate versions of Envy and Lust on November 20, completely amazing fans of the show and fellow cosplayers. The two outfits are near-perfect copies of the characters in the show, as the simple dark clothes combine amazingly with the unique aspects of each character. Lust’s iconic tattoo and claws top off her outfit, while Envy’s staple sharp, black hair unmistakably mirrors that of the character. Not only are the clothes and accessories on point, but the cosplayers have also created a perfect dark setting that fits the characters and captured their spirits in their poses. Tajfu’s sly smile is incredibly reminiscent of Lust, while Molza shows off Envy’s cheeky attitude with a bold pose and playful expression. It’s easy to think this could be an official live-action version of Fullmetal Alchemist. Many fans of the series focus their cosplays around fan-favorite Lust. However, this is possibly one of the most impressive versions yet due to the sheer accuracy and detail. The addition of Envy only furthers how amazing the cosplay is, as not only is the outfit incredible, but the two characters are often found plotting together. There will undoubtedly be more Fullmetal Alchemist and Lust cosplays in the future – but will they be able to beat this one?

Cosplayers hit out at Raid: Shadow Legends for allegedly stealing look – Dexerto
Cosplayers hit out at Raid: Shadow Legends for allegedly stealing look Instagram: Miss Sinister/Raid: Shadow LegendsA cosplayer has hit out at Raid: Shadow Legends for seemingly copying her look for one of their characters in-game, and the community has backed their claim. Typically, cosplayers will either dress up and make themselves look like their favorite character from a TV show, movie, or video game, but some do break the mold and come up with their own unique looks. These cosplays can garner huge amounts of attention with likes and positive replies pouring in across social media, with actors, game devs, and directors sometimes even chiming in compliments over their own. However, it’s been alleged that one set of devs – the team behind mobile game Raid: Shadow Legends – may have overstepped the mark and flat out copied one cosplay, much to the dismay of cosplayers Miss Sinister and Alkali Layke. The issue was initially flagged by Miss Sinister, who posted memes about the Raid: Shadow Legends devs copying her on her Instagram page. The cosplayer’s posts also made their way to Twitter, as fellow cosplayer Alkali Layke backed up the copying claims. “You know what’s gross? @RaidRPG straight up COPYING @MISS_SlNlSTER and getting away with it. Their artist just traced her face you guys. No, I will not be playing that game. You shouldn’t either,” she tweeted. Alkali also implored her friends to not take any further sponsorships with the mobile game, if they’re offered. “This is just absolute garbage and I hope you’d reconsider working with them in the future,” she added. You know what’s gross? @RaidRPG straight up COPYING @MISS_SlNlSTER and getting away with it. Their artist just traced her face you guys. No, I will not be playing that game. You shouldn’t either. You should also RT this. pic.twitter.com/uiu8jtY6wE — Alkali (@alkali_layke) October 29, 2020 Some responses claimed that they couldn’t spot similarities, however, Miss Sinister pointed out that they’d pretty much just traced one of the photos she posted. “I mean, this seems pretty damning. They flipped my face horizontally. They copied me down to my earrings in the photo of the costume,” she said, also showing how similar the photos are with measurements between some of her facial features. They copied me down to my earrings in the photo of the costume (seen above) pic.twitter.com/Dm7fg5HMPC — Miss Sinister (@MISS_SlNlSTER) October 29, 2020 It’s unlikely that Raid: Shadow Legends would make a change moving forward, given that there are a few slight differences – the small symbol on the forehead instead of the paint being the main one – between the two. However, it could be a case where the cosplayers take it a step further than just calling them out on social media. We’ll keep you updated with any developments.

While nothing has been confirmed, fans are still extremely excited about the prospect, and display their love for K/DA on a regular basis. Indeed, on November 18, a group of cosplayers revealed a mind-blowing music video cosplay of the band, recreating the performance of their song, POP/STARS, adding their own twist. The four cosplayers – Sakurakiii, Flantan, prprtracy, and dovahting – mirrored the moves almost flawlessly while showing off their on-point cosplay. Clearly not being animated limits what they can do, but the extra dose of realism was an amazing touch. Meanwhile, the cosplay itself was outstanding, with even the smallest of details being added in. Things like Evelynn’s iconic claws and Ahri’s tail were practically flawless. Overall, all the costumes matched up perfectly and it is really easy to see just how much effort went into making them, and how amazingly it all blends when put together. It wasn’t an official Riot Games production, but it’d be easy to think that it was. https://www.instagram.com/p/B49E7lTn15i/ K/DA isn’t the only band in League of Legends. Metal outfit Pentakill were the original band that represented the game, and more recently, hip-hop group True Damage – featuring the newest champion Senna – arrived on the scene. The LoL music scene seems to be expanding by the year, and with it comes some amazing cosplay. Fans of the game and cosplay will no doubt be seeing more of K/DA and other bands in the future.

Cosplayers become Spirited Away’s No-Face in eerie Studio Ghibli costume A skilled cosplay duo made jaws drop when they shared their scary take on Spirited Away’s No-Face, bringing the iconic Studio Ghibli character to life. Spirited Away was a landmark film for Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki, as his eighth feature length film picked up an Oscar in 2003, and is still the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. The critically renowned animation centered around a girl named Chihiro who is moving to a new town. However, after being whisked away to the world of the spirits, she has to find a way back home. Two talented cosplayers paid homage to one of the film’s iconic spirits named No-Face with their stunning costume, which was so accurate it made the mischievous character seem real. Spirited Away’s No-Face cosplay After the main protagonist Chihiro is forced to work at a bathhouse in the spirit world, her kindness gets the best of her when she befriends the wandering No-Face and lets him into the building. As the film goes on, we learn that the character has a hunger for things, and starts to eat everything in sight with his massive mouth – which cosplayer duo Bloodstone Cosplay perfectly captured. The incredible costume recreates the towering faceless spirit with his white blank mask, his flowing black body, and the insanely creepy mouth that appears in his stomach when he eats. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5lX54GnkqF/ The two cosplayer partners also took a photo together where one of them dressed up as Chihiro and wore her pink and white work uniform that she has to wear when taking a job at the bathhouse. Over on their Instagram, they shared more photos of the elaborate No-Face costume, and wowed fans when demonstrating that the mouth on the outfit can actually close shut. While the two don’t have a massive following, it seems the account is being used to store the memories they have together. But this amazing costume has Ghibli fans wanting more. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5lXu2nnDb0/ Originally released in 2001, the groundbreaking anime film celebrated its 18th anniversary this year, and even had a re-release in theaters this past October. Sure, Barton may have an affinity for Tieflings, as three of the characters she chose to emulate are of the human-based, planetouched variety: Tealeaf and each Lavorre family member. She still rounds it out with impressive variety, recreating a Firbolg Cleric in Clay, an Aasimar Barbarian in Nydoorin and the classic Human Wizard in Widogast. Barton explained on Reddit that the horns used for her Tieflings were 3D-printed and that she bought the jacket for Tealeaf on Amazon before adding designs with fabric paint herself. The horns, vibrant makeup and colorful wigs are all nice, but a special shout out needs to go to Barton’s Widogast. And not to the faux beard, wig and book—all important components of his look. The shout out needs to go to Barton’s subtle attention to detail, as she nails his most trademark feature: a tattered look befitting a self-loathing introvert. Instead of the eclectic colors needed for the makeup of Tealeaf or Lavorre, Widogast needs one particular note of makeup for the tired bags under his eyes. Finally had some time to paint my favourite wizard, #calebwidogast! @VoiceOfOBrien’s roleplaying is always amazing!#Criticalrole #liamobrien #criticalrolefanart #mightynein #digitalart #digitalpainting #illustration #fantasyart #wizard #catperson #fireball pic.twitter.com/QCzBG4JsiP — Jakub (@jakub_boj) May 27, 2020 One has to wonder if Barton intends on rounding out the rest of the Mighty Nein, as she has yet to don cosplays of the Human Monk, Beauregard Lionett, the Half-Orc Warlock, Fjord, or the Goblin Rogue, Nott the Brave. They may not have the horns she is so fond of, but we’ve already seen that she has the versatility to handle that.

Cosplayer perfects Tifa Lockhart to celebrate Final Fantasy VII Remake Vampybitme / Square EnixWith the release of Final Fantasy VII’s Remake finally upon us, cosplayer Vampy left fans blown away with an incredible portrayal of the fan-favorite character, Tifa Lockhart. Fans have been anticipating the release of the improved Final Fantasy VII for over five years since it was first teased, as many were too eager to return to action in Midgar. Despite the game release being delayed by just over a month, many celebrated the April 10 release of the classic PlayStation title with incredible artwork and cosplays to mark the occasion. Among those celebrating the latest Final Fantasy game was Vampy, who decided to bring back one of her former cosplays, recreating fan-favorite character Tifa Lockhart or “Lockheart” ahead of April 10. Lockheart, who is a childhood friend and love interest of the protagonist, Cloud Strife, is one of the few playable characters in FF7R, and is often considered by cosplayers for her unique style and personality within the series. Vampy shared her incredible attempt at recreating Tifa’s recognizable black-and-white outfits with her followers, praised for bringing the fierce bruiser to life. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-0GLUiHuNJ/ “Happy Final Fantasy 7 Remake day!” she expressed, ”showing some love to my forever love Tifa Lockhart.” The cosplayer demonstrated her incredible attention to detail with every aspect of the outfit, even creating matching elbow guards and gloves for Tifa’s signature look. https://twitter.com/roxyfromgotham/status/1248741539225858048 Vampy is not the only Tifa fan who has cosplayed the popular character, however, as Twitch streamer Jinnytty also attempted to recreate the FF7R star but was unfortunately met with backlash from trolls despite her best efforts. With the launch of Final Fantasy 7’s Remake officially underway, cosplays, such as the incredible take on Tifa from Vampy, will surely add even more hype to the release of the classic title.

Cosplayer perfectly remakes My Hero Academia’s bloodthirsty villain Toga – Dexerto
Cosplayer perfectly remakes My Hero Academia’s bloodthirsty villain Toga An up-and-coming cosplayer put together an incredible design for My Hero Academia’s sadistic villain Himiko Toga, complete with her enormous blood sucking machine. The characters from the popular manga-turned-anime have been popular targets for cosplayers to take on, due to the series’ diverse assortment of heroes and villains. While the story prominently features Izuku Midoriya through his highs and lows during his time in U.A.’s class 1-A, there’s an entire subset of villains who have been equally – and, in some cases – more popular than the main characters of the show. Showing her appreciation for the maniac League of Villains staple, cosplayer ‘Thilda’ put together a strapping design for the fan-favorite character. The first thing everyone will notice about the outfit is its humongous blood sucking machine, which Thilda crafted to separate her cosplay from the various re-imaginings done in the past. Not only did the cosplayer takes the time to fit in the canisters along with the intricate tubing found on the mounted-equipment, they also stuck with the series’s larger-than-life approach for the machinery. In one pose, the machine definitely looks about twice the size of Thilda’s head, and she even topped it off with the mask Toga wears to ingest the blood of her victims. Connected to the headgear is the utility belt Toga takes with her for extra support while she’s doing her evil deeds. While the cosplay isn’t the most horrifying take to Toga that we’ve seen, the artist certainly gave a more battle-ready feel for the crazed villain. Though Toga might be a blood-fueled pariah even within some of the evil organizations she’s a part of, the character’s deep infatuation for MHA star Deku gives her a soft side that’s equal parts charming and disturbing. She’s been a popular target for cosplayers to tackle, from young designers like Thilda to industry vets like Liz Katz. The portraits of Toga range from true-to-form renditions taken straight from the series to deeply horrifying cosplays that would make some MHA fans shudder. There’s a ton of ways to approach the MHA villain, but Thilda’s take gives her a more grounded appearance that many of enthusiasts have been loving.

Cosplayer shares mindbending take on Avatar: The Last Airbender’s Toph – Dexerto
Cosplayer shares mindbending take on Avatar: The Last Airbender’s Toph A talented cosplayer showed off her take on the blind earth-bending master Toph from the hit Nickelodeon animation Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it’s mindblowing how accurate it is. The Last Airbender first aired in 2005, and became a cultural phenomenon as its story about a monk named Aang who’s thrust into an adventure to bring balance to the world resonated with millions. An incredibly talented cosplayer showed off her costume for one of the most beloved characters on the show – Toph, a blind earth-bender who eventually goes on to become the protagonist’s teacher – and it’s amazing. The animation takes place in a world where people can “bend” the four elements water, earth, air, and fire, and the Avatar is the only one who can control all of them. However, due to the world being in turmoil, Aang has to find masters to train him Cosplayer ‘Aara Lee‘ decided to take on his earth-bending master Toph, and absolutely brings the spitfire character to life as her recreation of the Earth Kingdom threads are so accurate, it’s as if the tough character smashed her way out of the screen. Not only does she faithfully portray her hairstyle and eyes, the artist nails her robes and undershirt, and even includes all the little details such as the character’s wrist and ankle cuffs. Aara Lee also embodies the spirit of the character, who has a very “rough” personality, and loves to kick back and put her legs up. Hilariously, she recreated a scene where the earth-bender is lazing about on Aang’s flying pet ‘Appa’. The character ends up becoming one of the strongest earth-benders in the series, as she uses her bare feet to sense the ground due to her lack of sight, which allows her to bend the earth in unimaginable ways. The cosplayer takes it to another level by perfectly recreating her style that is based on a real fighting stance called Southern Praying Mantis – which the artist accurately portrayed in a video on her Instagram. While the show eventually ended in 2008 with an epic two-hour finale, the show’s legacy has endured, and is so popular that it got a sequel in 2012 called the Legend of Korra, which also became a smash hit. Fans can also rejoice because in 2019, Netflix announced that they are bringing the popular show back to life with a live-action reboot in 2020, and have even enlisted the series creators’ to the project.

Cosplayer makes LoL’s Lunar Eclipse Leona look even better in real life – Dexerto
Cosplayer makes LoL’s Lunar Eclipse Leona look even better in real life A Croatian cosplayer has made a picture-perfect cosplay of Lunar Eclipse Leona that makes the legendary skin look even better in real life than it does in-game. Leona is one of League of Legends’ most mystical champions. The Guardian of the Solari from Mount Targon defends her homeland from the withering creatures that spawn every time night falls. Of course, it’s impossible to do such a job without the right equipment. Dripping in golden armor from head to toe and wielding an impossibly large sword and shield, she battles to make sure the sun rises the next day. While this lore and outfit makes her storyline rather epic in Runeterra, it’s a cosplayer’s worst nightmare. However, one League fan has created a perfect reenactment of the Radiant Dawn in all of her shining glory with an epic cosplay. Instagram user ‘A_Star_Guardian’ showed off her Lunar Eclipse Leona cosplay on November 17, and it outshines anything else which came before it. The dark form of the Radiant Dawn is one of the most well designed skins in the game, with its intricately designed armor and ominous metallic hue. A_Star_Guardian managed to copy that in real life to make one of the best League of Legends cosplays we’ve ever seen. The Croatian cosplayer crafted Leona’s shield and sword out of a mix of styrofoam and EVA Foam to get all of the details down pat, while the armor she adorned was forged meticulously with a mix of fabric and foam. https://www.instagram.com/p/B48NaOZlnwL/ The glow in the photos might look photoshopped, but A_Star_Guardian actually kitted out both the Zenith Blade and Shield of Daybreak with purple LEDs instead of paint to replicate the in-game look. She uploaded work-in-progress pictures to her Instagram highlights, showing the process of making the costume. The meticulously designed cosplay was accepted with much praise on the League of Legends subreddit, reaching almost 10,000 upvotes within 24 hours. It also garnered over 1,000 likes on her personal Instagram. A_Star_Guardian has done plenty of League cosplays in the past, doing unique takes on characters from Star Guardian Soraka to Urgot. While she usually does headshots, she took the time to make a perfect costume fitting for a goddess with Lunar Eclipse Leona, and nailed it. While she hasn’t revealed her next project yet, if it’s of the same detail as this, it’s bound to be equally as amazing.

Cosplayer lights up The Boys fans with stunning Starlight outfit – Dexerto
Cosplayer lights up The Boys fans with stunning Starlight outfit Florencia Sofen / AmazonCosplayer Florencia Sofen showed off an incredible take on Starlight – one of the main characters from ‘The Boys’. Florencia Sofen is a veteran cosplayer that’s done it all – from superheroes to games and various cartoon characters, she always manages to show off a breathtaking cosplay. Things are no different now, as the Argentine has shown her extraordinary take on Annie January, also known by her superhero name Starlight. The cosplay itself is rather unique, as few cosplayers take on the role of characters from The Boys, which portrays a darker take on superheroes. Regardless, Sofen absolutely nailed the outfit. In fact, Florencia’s take may just look better than the official outfit from Amazon’s adaptation of the comic books. The overall costume design is flawless and almost perfectly matches the comic book’s iconic gold and white combo The quality looks second to none, with everything looking incredibly clean and being exactly where it is supposed to be. Sofen managed to combine the colors of the comic book with the TV version of the outfit to perfection. View this post on Instagram Of course with this cosplay, it’s impossible not to mention the effects. The Argentine did a brilliant job showing off Starlight’s power to emit a blinding light from her hands and even included the iconic yellow eyes that only appear when it’s being used. This really puts the cosplay together, adding another key part of the character, as well as an amazing lighting effect. It’s difficult to imagine a Starlight cosplay getting any better than this one and if Florencia can keep up this level of quality then her fans will be in for a treat.

Cosplayer goes viral with perfect Lara Croft outfit in TikTok trend – Dexerto
Cosplayer goes viral with perfect Lara Croft outfit in TikTok trend Instagram: Masha Diduk / Core DesignCosplayer Masha Diduk has wowed Tomb Raider fans by posting a stunningly accurate recreation of Lara Croft, as part of a viral transformation TikTok trend. Throughout August, TikTok users have gone crazy for a trend to the tune of an isolated vocal “molly rocks in my green tea” by vocalist and producer Young Skyda. The trend involves throwing a shoe up in the air, and when it lands on their foot the video snap transitions into them in the same position, but with a completely transformed appearance. This of course has brought in lots participants from the cosplay world, to show off their intricate costume and makeup design. One such participant is Masha Diduk, a model and influencer who has nearly 70,000 followers on TikTok, and almost 300,000 followers on her Instagram account. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEcURmshdgx/ She chose to join in the trend by recreating the iconic Lara Croft. Since Tomb Raider debuted in 1996, the athletic archeologist has amassed countless cosplay recreations. In her video, Masha managed to capture the perfect rugged simplicity of Lara’s character design, with a cropped halter top and leather cut-off shorts. This is paired with some thigh-high black boots to match Lara’s originals, and a belt clipped to her waist and thighs to hold her all-important weapons. Her fans were absolutely loving it, one comment reading “this is 100000% the best Lara Croft I’ve ever seen.” Masha played off the support casually though, in a reply to a different comment saying “honestly this was stuff I had in my closet! I bought the gun leg holster two years ago when I originally wore this on Halloween.” At the time of writing, the video has gained over 250,000 likes, and 2.5 million views, with clearly many people a fan of the uncanny Tomb Raider rendition. Certainly not a bad result for a two-year-old halloween costume.

Ed Elric is the youngest State Alchemist ever to grace the world’s fictional country of Amestris, fighting battles without a natural left leg and right arm after losing both limbs when a transmutation attempt failed badly. Instagram user samyuueru has posted snaps of his incredible cosplay, showing not just incredible attention to detail in the red coat, hairstyle and other features of the body, but also the mechanical hand as well. The cosplayer has posted a number of poignant photographs from the shoot to their account, some of which can be seen below. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7wipNNIFfC/ While the first two shots focus solely on the briefcase he’s holding and the bright red jacket, which contrasts extremely well in the forest setting chosen for the shoot, later posts gave fans a closer look at the hand. Samyuueru has done a tremendous job, incorporating this level of detail into the design. They posted: “You may know I have a thing for detail shots. So here’s one of our shoot! I think you can expect a small story row.. At least they might relate in style and mood.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B79OF-UIOR4/ This isn’t the only Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay to have been created by fans, though. The anime series has built up a tremendously creative fanbase and community, with cosplays, artwork and more shared online. Hopefully, having seen how good this one is, it’s not the last either.

Cosplayer gives Zuko honor in scorching Avatar: The Last Airbender take – Dexerto
Cosplayer gives Zuko honor in scorching Avatar: The Last Airbender take A skilled cosplayer stunned fans with his insanely accurate portrayal of Zuko, bringing the Avatar: The Last Airbender prince to life with some realistic fire-bending. The Last Airbender first aired in 2005 on Nickelodeon, and follows the story of a kid monk named Aang who is the Avatar and can bend the four elements of earth, air, water, and fire. However, on his quest to master his powers and bring balance to the world, he’s chased down by Zuko – the prince of the Fire Nation – and a talented cosplayer became the popular character with scorching photography. Cosplayer bends fire as Prince Zuko Zuko is without a doubt the most complicated character in beloved animation, and goes through many changes during the three seasons of the show as he is on a journey to restore his honor. The prince infamously has a burn scar over his left eye that he received from his father, which cosplayer ‘edwin_iturriaga‘ perfectly nailed in his jaw-dropping take on him. Edwin goes for the character’s look in Book 3: Fire where his hair has grown out long again, and wears a red and yellow silk robe that is royal Fire Nation attire. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6BTP9tpXF5/ On top of looking exactly how we imagine a live-action depiction of the prince would be, he also took his costume to the next level with some stunning photography that uses flames to bring the firebender to life. In a second photo that he shared on Instagram, the talented artist poses with a replica of prince Zuko’s broadsword, which he infamously uses throughout the show. The cosplayer has a following of over 2,000 on his social media, and likes to re-create characters from Star Wars to Spider-Man, as well as popular video games. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5_Q0bsJl56/ Avatar fans are sure to be excited about 2020, as Netflix announced that they are bringing the beloved show back with a live-action reimagining on its streaming service. Cosplayer freezes hell with Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero Frozen Elsa crossover – Dexerto
Cosplayer freezes hell with Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero Frozen Elsa crossover NetherRealm Studios/DisneyMortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero and Frozen protagonist Elsa may be two of the most recognizable ice-themed characters in history, but they couldn’t be further opposites. That didn’t stop a cosplayer from combining the two in a dynamic crossover cosplay, though. Cosplayer and artist Lisa Mancini decided to not only given Sub-Zero a female twist, but to combine him with Elsa for some added flair. While Sub-Zero normally has his head covered, Mancini decided to let her blonde hair flow in a French braid, just like how Elsa’s does in the Frozen films. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9FdQL9H-mK/ Additionally, she added the Mortal Kombat fighter’s cold, dead eyes to the mix, along with the face mask that the character wears in combat. For the outfit itself, Mancini decided to give Sub-Zero’s attire a bit of a feminine adjustment that exposes more of her body and legs. However, she also included the spiky shoulder blades found in some variants of the character’s iconic costume. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-7wxHLJDj_/ To round out the ensemble, the cosplayer decided to opt for a pair of platform heel boots. Overall, the costume does a good job at not only being a female version of Sub-Zero, but adds some Elsa flair, too. In a couple of stylish Instagram photos, Mancini decided to graphically upgrade her cosplay combination with some visual effects. “Funny enough, I got into graphic design because as early as elementary school I’d spend a lot of my time editing terrible photos of me as mermaids, faeries or with super powers like a dweeb,” she wrote. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-mv89UJhhd/ The close-up looks especially menacing, as if she’s ready to perform some sort of fatality on anyone who opposes her. While Mortal Kombat crossovers aren’t normally well-recieved in the video game sense, such as Mortal Kombat vs DC, Disney has had better luck with Kingdom Hearts. Maybe if we’re lucky, one day we’ll see a Mortal Kombat with fighters mixed with Disney characters. Until then, cosplayers like Lisa Mancini have us covered.

The wide variety of characters means that creative fans from across the globe have a huge pool to choose from when they want to mock up their own artwork or take it one step further and rustle up a cosplay. We’ve already seen incredible cosplays of Lust and Nina Tucker, but now one cosplayer has pulled off Winry Rockbell. Coming from cosplayer Ithileryn, the Winry Rockbell is incredibly accurate to the blonde hair, blue eyes character that plays a main role in the manga-turned-anime series as an engineer and mechanic. With the iconic headband, flowing hair, small black shirt, and a wrapped-up pair of bottoms, fans of the series would be forgiven for thinking that one of their favorite characters has stepped out of the screen and into the real world. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6Qh0P7jmcS/ The incredible cosplay ensemble managed to draw plenty of compliments from her fellow anime fans as a photo of her outfit made its way to the Cosplay subreddit. “I love this Winry,” commented user TalekForever1, with that lovable heart-eyes emoji attached. Another, Spriggs5, noted that the character would actually have a pretty comfortable feel for things if she was actually a real-life character. “Her getup looks real comfortable now that I see a real-life example,” they said. Aside from Winry Rockbell, the cosplayer has plenty of other cosplays on her Instagram feed, including characters from games like League of Legends and Super Smash Bros, as well as other animes like Death Note. Just who she chooses to cosplay as next remains to be seen, but with her history of incredibly accurate looks, it wouldn’t be shocking to see her take things to the next level and pull of an even more impressive outfit.

Cosplayer celebrates The Mandalorian with sick bounty hunter getup – Dexerto
Cosplayer celebrates The Mandalorian with sick bounty hunter getup With the first episode of Disney+’s exclusive Star Wars show The Mandalorian now available, one cosplayer went to great lengths to create an outfit to match the program’s title character. Reddit user love_marmite posted a photo of their incredible Bounty Hunter uniform in celebration of the show’s release and was met with a flurry of praise. The cosplay has a lot of attention to detail with the helmet, in particular, looking like its seen its fair share of battles over the years. Marmite’s chest, arms, and legs were covered with armor that matches the lived-in feel of the original Star Wars trilogy and something Disney has tried to recapture with its recent films. Additionally, the cosplay is made complete with two blasters which could likely be holstered at a moment’s notice. A user inquired about the helmet specifically and if the cosplayer had any challenges getting it right. “I used a resin cast as a base then I 3D printed parts and added them on,” love_marmite responded. Another asked about how much visibility the cosplayer had under the helmet and was provided with a troubling reply. “Visibility is iffy,” Marmite wrote. “You can’t see anything low down directly in front of you so stairs are an issue.” Still, for such an incredible work of art, the pros should strongly outweigh the cons. What is The Mandalorian? The Mandalorian is the first live-action Star Wars series and centers around a bounty hunter similar to Boba Fett named Dyn Jarren. Taking place after Return of the Jedi, but before The Force Awakens, the show gives audiences a fresh look into a time period not yet explored in traditional Star Wars media. Season one debuted on November 12 with the first episode directed by Dave Filoni, the mastermind behind the animated Clone Wars program. A second season has already been confirmed to be in the works with the first featuring a total of eight episodes and the finale scheduled for December 27, 2019. The Mandalorian is available right now on Disney+.

If you didn’t know better, the cosplay would look like it was ripped right from the movie considering how impressive it is. All of the iconic character’s facial traits are present with some minor adjustments to fit Bloodraven’s female figure. “”𝙵𝚘𝚛 𝟸𝟽 𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜, 𝙸’𝚟𝚎 𝚍𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚖𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝙸’𝚟𝚎 𝚌𝚛𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞. To pull this off, she added some bows in her hair while still matching the villain’s bright orange style. Moving onto her attire, the dress remains consistent with some minor tweaks to make it her own. There’s a bit more pink to the ensemble that make it stand out. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGiAEZnlFDn/ Overall, it’s a frightening take on Pennywise and a compelling case that the character could be female in a future reboot. Her works include Midnight from My Hero Academia, Mary Saotome from Kakegurui, Death Note’s Misa Amane, and Overwatch’s DPS hero Ashe to name a few. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBvs8LGlP65/ With so much variety to her cosplays, there’s no telling who Bloodraven will transform into next or if she has any more fun cosplays up her sleeve in time for Halloween. Cosplayer brings Overlord’s Albedo to life with an incredible outfit – Dexerto
Cosplayer brings Overlord’s Albedo to life with an incredible outfit Cosplayer ‘nixcosplays’ showed off an amazing take on Albedo from the anime Overlord, with stellar attention to detail. Overlord is a popular anime series in which the main character, Ainz Ooal Gown, is stuck in a virtual reality MMORPG world inhabited mostly by AI. He is the leader of a powerful guild and has many AI servants, including one of the most popular characters in the series, Albedo. Cosplayer nixcosplays showed off her amazing version of the fan-favorite character in a post that became incredibly popular almost instantly. It’s easy to see how the cosplay got so much attention, as it was put together incredibly well, right down to the tiniest of details. Things like tiny gems and chains showed just how much work went into it. The outfit overall was very accurate, with the gloves, dress, and accessories matching up perfectly to the character. Even the hair and horns were almost identical. View this post on Instagram Many comments cited the cosplay as “beautiful” and “elegant” and rightfully so, as it largely features a sleek white dress. It’s a good change of pace from the usual cosplays, which feature flashy outfits or incredibly complex costumes, as many other characters tend to have a lot to them. However, the cosplay is missing one key detail – Albedo’s iconic black wings. It’s possible they were removed for simplicity’s sake, or they weren’t ready at the time of this photo, but nixcosplays has confirmed that they are on the way. Currently, cosplayers who wish to take on the role of Albedo are fairly limited in choice as the character is only seen wearing one outfit. However, the series is expected to continue so fans may be seeing something new sometime in the future.

Cosplayer brings Mikan Tsumiki to life with perfect Danganronpa cosplay – Dexerto
Cosplayer brings Mikan Tsumiki to life with perfect Danganronpa cosplay Cosplayer Kenzie brought one of Dragonropa 2’s most popular characters to life with a perfect version of the “Ultimate Nurse” Mikan Tsumiki. Fans of visual novels will be all-too-familiar with the Danganropa franchise, which kicked off in 2010 with Trigger Happy Havoc. Since then, two more visual novels and a full-blown anime series have followed, shining new light on the stories and characters produced initially by Yoshinori Terasawa. The series, which focuses on students from Hope’s Peak Academy, where those who are top of their field take part in strange and dark situations that task them with killing a classmate, and getting away with it. In Danganropa 2: Goodbye Despair, Mikan Tsumiki is one of those students, and Kenzie has created the perfect cosplay to bring the character to life. In the second visual novel, Tsumiki finds herself stranded on the island of Jabberwock, but while many were scared and eager to escape, her talent as a nurse made her valuable and eventually led her classmates to acknowledge her in a way that they hadn’t done before. Unsurprisingly then, a nurse outfit makes up the majority of Mikan’s appearance, and Kenzie has managed to create a look that is practically perfect in every way, wearing the same white apron that the character wears while on Jabberwock. Kenzie even has her purple hair chopped into crooked bangs exactly like Mikan, and the bandages wrapped around her right arm match perfectly with the character’s look in Goodbye Despair. Cosplayer brings Christmas to League of Legends with Ahri outfit – Dexerto
Cosplayer brings Christmas to League of Legends with Ahri outfit Cosplayer Astrozenith brought some festivities to League of Legends with her Christmas take on fan-favorite Champion Ahri. League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world and features over 145 unique characters. As such, it has become a hot-spot for cosplay, with almost every champion grabbing the attention of a cosplayer due to their unique characteristics. One of these is fan-favorite mid-laner Ahri, a mix between an elegant woman and a nine-tailed fox. Many cosplayers have used Ahri as inspiration for their outfits, especially after she joined the immensely popular K/DA League of Legends band. But, Astrozenith has shown off a new and unique take on her – just in time for the holidays. The beauty of the cosplay comes from its simplicity. The outfit follows the theme of both Ahri’s original design and Christmas – with a simple red and white Santa-like jacket making up the bulk it. Of course, the Champion’s iconic nine tails and fox ears are present as well, and even the small markings on her face have been included. However, what really puts it all together is the little touch of using a bauble for Ahri’s iconic Orb of Deception spell, really capturing the Christmas spirit in a practical way that fits the theme of the character. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6d3KsoDlEK/ Overall, the cosplay is very straightforward but still incredibly impressive. It fits the character amazingly well and, quite surprisingly, is a fresh take on her even though it feels like an outfit that should be in the game already. With Christmas skins gaining popularity in the game and being added every year, this cosplay might just be a motivator for Riot Games next skin idea.

Cosplayer bewitches fans with mystical Bayonetta outfit – Dexerto
Cosplayer bewitches fans with mystical Bayonetta outfit Instagram @jessk_cosplay / NintendoCosplayer Jess K stunned fans with an incredible take on the mysterious gun-slinging witch Bayonetta. When it comes to female protagonists from games, few are as popular as Bayonetta, the star of two iconic games that were named after her. She’s a witch, she has a bunch of guns, and she’s based in exciting fast-paced hack and slash games – what’s not to like? Bayonetta has a ton of fans who love both the games and the character, so it’s no surprise that someone paid homage to her with an amazing outfit. Cosplayer Jess K unveiled her brilliant take on extravagant protagonist and fans of the game immediately fell in love with it. The outfit is practically flawless as it hits every little detail of the character’s design, from her iconic guns, glasses, and leather outfit to all the various little trinkets, chains, amulets, and other accessories. Jess even added the tiny touch of Bayonetta’s mole and perfectly matched up the lip and eyeshadow color – any fan could be fooled that she was the real thing. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Bayonetta cosplay without the staggeringly high heels and you can bet those are included too, no doubt making it slightly difficult to get around. But, it’s worth it as it really does tie the entire look together. Being one of the most popular female protagonists in gaming does mean there have been a fair few Bayonetta cosplays before, although, few can compete with the quality with this one and fans of cosplay will no doubt be looking forward to seeing what Jess K will come up with next.

The animation became a cultural phenomenon, as its story about a world where people can bend the elements connected with millions. After the show came to an epic close, fans got an epic sequel in 2012 called the The Legend of Korra, which followed the new Avatar named Korra 70 years after the original story. A cosplayer shared her insanely accurate recreation of the element-bending heroine, and brought the animation character to life with her stunning photography. Avatar Korra brought to life In the lore of the series, the Avatar is reincarnated after death and is passed on to the next element, so after Aang from The Last Airbender, the sequel focused on Korra from the Water Tribe. Cosplayer ‘nishi.artist‘ shared her take on the beloved heroine on her Instagram, and focused on the character’s look from Book 2: Spirits, which sees the Avatar visiting the Southern Water Tribe for the winter solstice Due to the cold weather, Korra wears a parka style version of her outfit, which the cosplayer accurately captures in her photograph that she posed for in the snow, while also holding a cute air-bison plush. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5PbpAzoz9n/ The Russian-based cosplayer continued to impress fans with her incredible photographs, as she posted another one showing her posing outside in the elements, giving us a full shot of her costume. She intricately recreated the animation character’s outfit, from the white fur around her neck and shoulders, to the long sleeves that wrap around her hand, which becomes a staple to the Avatar’s season 2 look. Even more impressive, is that Nishi added the two scratches on her right cheek, as Korra receives the wound later in the season, and it stays with her for the rest of the story. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Nz-sYoFer/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The Legend of Korra ended up running for four seasons, and came to an end in 2014 just two years after it originally aired. While the show had a rocky production, the show further extended the lore for years to come. Fans of the Avatar universe have a lot to be excited for, as Netflix announced in 2019 that they will be bringing the beloved show back in the form of a live-action drama starting in 2020, and managed to get the series creators on board as well.

Cosplayer Ani-Mia hits back at trolls commenting on her weight Instagram: @animiaofficial / UnsplashPopular cosplayer and model Ani-Mia has slapped back at trolls who think it’s acceptable to comment on her weight with the perfect response. Cosplayers are some of the most creative people on the planet as they design, make, and model costumes of characters from popular culture such as video games, TV shows, books, and movies. Popular actress and host Ani-Mia is one of them. But being one of the most known in the craft comes with its downsides – it opens her up to more trolls and people who think they have a right to say awful things simply because she has a platform. But now, the model has had enough and hit back at those individuals. Ani-Mia snaps back at trolls On February 8, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to address those making comments about her weight from previous years, and put them back in their place with a perfect response. “To the person that thought it was appropriate to comment on a post asking me if I was ever planning on getting back to my weight, I was over 10 years ago when I started cosplaying,” she said. Ani-Mia then revealed that she’d actually suffered from certain eating habits and dysmorphia at the time too. “And also suffered badly from unhealthy eating habits and my usual body dysmorphia,” she continued. To finish off, she then retweeted a post from actress Lili Reinhart who shared her own frustrations at people saying things about her size and weight, proving that it’s not just cosplayers who have to deal with it – it’s an ongoing problem for a lot of women in modern media. Cosplayer aims high with precise Call of Duty Modern Warfare photoshoot – Dexerto
Cosplayer aims high with precise Call of Duty Modern Warfare photoshoot Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s single player campaign was viewed as a return to form for the franchise, and part of the reason were characters that are ripe for cosplay. Section 7 Milsim & Cosplay answered the call with his take on the game’s protagonist Alex, otherwise known as Echo 3-1. In a dynamic photoshoot, the cosplayer credited photographer Michael Walker for help in bringing the character to life. “Such amazing shots we got today in Destin, Florida,” Section 7 wrote in an Instagram post. “We had gotten permission with a construction site to use for a few for some epic shots and went to Henderson Beach State park for others.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B5Y1Uagn-A9/ Some of the photos uploaded are extremely dynamic in terms of action -and as it turns out, they can even have some real world consequences. In a shot where Section 7 holds a smoke grenade, the cosplayer revealed that he’d nearly passed out. “Absolutely one of my favorite shots even using my green smoke grenade,” he wrote. “I about choked during this picture, but hey, what an epic darn shot.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B53sScbngOB/ In another action shot, the cosplayer attempted to recreate the mission “Clean House.” In the mission, the player takes control of Kyle Garrick to clear out a UK townhouse that’s filled with Al-Qatala members who helped plan and carry out the Piccadilly terrorist attacks. Section 7 explained that, although Alex wasn’t in this mission, he thought it would be a cool scene to recreate. “Clean House has got to be one of my favorites,” he stated. Call of Duty may not be what most people first think of when it comes to cosplay, but clearly with some imagination and a lot of passion, Modern Warfare can easily contend with the best out there. https://www.instagram.com/p/B56D8LnHCpv/ It will be fun to see what else Section 7 and Michael Walker can come up with to bring the events of Modern Warfare to life. Call of Duty Modern Warfare is out now on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Cosplayer absolutely bosses League of Legends Sett outfit – Dexerto
Cosplayer absolutely bosses League of Legends Sett outfit Instagram: Taryn_Cosplay / Riot GamesCosplayer ‘TarynCosplay’ showed off an impressive take on League of Legends’ newest Champion Sett, also known as The Boss. League of Legends’ first Champion of 2020, Sett, is already taking the game by storm, with many fans falling in love with the character who solves everything with his fists. Dubbed as ‘The Boss’ due to his connections in the Ionian underworld, Sett has already started to dominate the top-lane in-game and seems to have also made his way into the world of cosplay. TarynCosplay showed off his amazing Sett outfit and the League community instantly fell in love with it. Overall, the Champion’s design is fairly simple as he only wears a small vest and fairly plain trousers, but it does have a feathery flair to it that could be difficult to get right. The Italian cosplayer absolutely nailed it, however, precisely recreating the flowy design of the upper part of the vest, while also adding the gold accessories and even the necklace – all just a few days after the Champion’s release. Of course, with this cosplay, it’s impossible not to mention Taryn’s physique, which makes him the perfect candidate for a Sett cosplay. LoL’s newest Champion is an ex-Pit Fighter and still has the muscles and scars to prove it, much like Taryn. View this post on Instagram If anyone else had done the cosplay it might feel like something is missing, but the Italian is able to brilliantly convey Sett’s tough-guy attitude and it’s unlikely anyone would want to mess with either of them. This outfit sets the bar incredibly high for anyone who wants to take on the role of LoL’s newest champion, and while it’s unlikely that many could do a better job, it will be interesting to see if others can live up to this standard.

Cosplay legend Yaya Han lights souls on fire as Promare’s Lio Fotia – Dexerto
Cosplay legend Yaya Han lights souls on fire as Promare’s Lio Fotia Yaya Han, Instagram / Studio TriggerMassively popular cosplayer Yaya Han has unleashed yet another masterpiece on the world, and this time, she’s taking on the Burning Rescue as Promare’s very own Mad Burnish leader, Lio Fotia. Promare’s English subtitle release rocked the continental United States in late 2019, with fans across the country raving about Studio Trigger’s latest anime masterpiece that brings together beloved elements from their past series. Detailing the story of the “burnish,” humans granted destructive pyrokinetic powers after the “great world blaze,” Promare’s plot centers on firefighter Galo Tymos and terrorist burnish leader Lio Fotia as the plot quickly amps up into jaw-dropping action and slapstick madness. Being both an avid anime fan and storied cosplayer, it comes as little surprise that Han tried her hand at one of Promare’s titular characters, Lio Fotia, who boasts a unique, highlighter-yellow bob cut and snappy leather outfit. Han’s skill and creativity truly shines in her rendition of the character, bringing the outfit together with Fotia’s elegant cravat and even a flame prop that denotes the Burnish leader’s unique fire-based powers. The cosplayer even uploaded a video of her photoshoot to Instagram, which she revealed took place in a studio in Ikebukoro, Japan. She explained that her flame prop was made overnight in her hotel room specifically for the shoot, created from materials bought during a single trip to craft store “Tokyo Hands.” View this post on Instagram Cosplay photoshoot in Ikebukuro! The conditions at the studio were not ideal but we made the best of it! @rtplostlink and eleventhphoto (on Twitter) were so kind to come out and shoot Lio Fotia with me! Here are some behind the scenes and candid videos! SWIPE ? We did a lot with colored lights and cellophane and I can’t wait to share the results with you! Note: Tokyu Hands is an awesome lifestyle department store chain that has 2 floors of arts & crafts and home improvement products! I bought all the materials to make a lil flame-chan for the photoshoot and put it together in an evening. Highly recommend doing a walk-through next time you’re in Tokyo. As for cosplay studios, I still recommend Haco Stadium in Chiba and Booty Studio in Shinjuku the most. The ikebukuro Haco cosset that this was filmed at was too small for my comfort, and the changing room was heated to hell temperatures. Not good for a pvc suit. However, do check out the Animate Acos building that cosset is in as they have multiple floors of cosplay shops! . . . . . . #cosplayinjapan #promare #プロメア #liofotia #リオ #promarecosplay #liofotiacosplay Needless to say, Yaya’s Lio Fotia truly makes our souls burn — and becomes even more of a fantastic feat when considering it’s her first “crossplay” costume ever! “I feverishly made it after watching the film four times and while listening to the fantastic soundtrack,” Han said of the costume. “All the while wondering how my first time cosplaying a non-female character would go. Lio’s character absolutely captivated me and compelled me to push outside of my comfort zone, and I’m glad for this new experience right at the end of the decade!” Yaya Han is a huge name in the cosplay community, traveling to highly-demanded performances at conventions across the globe and even boasting her own line of materials at Joann’s fabric stores. Now, she’s given fans yet another cosplay masterpiece as they eagerly await the possible video release of Promare in February.

Ciri cosplayer at TwitchCon had sword ruined by event staff: “I was so angry” – Dexerto
Ciri cosplayer at TwitchCon had sword ruined by event staff: “I was so angry” YouTube: NIKACHUCosplayer Team_Nikachu went to TwitchCon 2022 dressed as Ciri from The Witcher. While her garb was beloved by all, it ended in tragedy after an assistant at Amsterdam’s RAI broke it — and she shared the story with IRL Twitch streamer ‘YourFellowArab’. Cosplayers spend an immense amount of time and effort perfecting their art, making sure every detail stands true to their source material. So when Ciri cosplayer Nikachu had part of her outfit ruined — The Witcher star’s iconic sword — by event staff at TwitchCon 2022, she was annoyed. The worker, who wasn’t a part of Twitch but rather RAI Amsterdam where the event was hosted, split her sword in two right in front of her eyes. When hearing the story, a listener asks if they broke the sword by mistake. Nikachu instantly rejects this idea. In an effort to save her prop Nikachu yelled “hey this is not yours,” before imitating the worker breaking the sword in half. Nikachu claims she cried after the event occurred, frustrated and angry over it. She decided to attend the convention without cosplay the following day to avoid a similar situation from reoccurring. The outfit means something a bit more to her too. She streams The Witcher on Twitch quite regularly, creating YouTube content on the game as well. Cosplay allows players to live out their fantasies and show expression for their love of the character and the franchise. And Ciri’s sword, alongside her costume, was her own unique way of connecting with the community. The cosplayer has multiple posts on Instagram showing off her Ciri cosplay, where the sword is always donned by her side. She’s brought the sword along many conventions, documenting her memories through vlogs. And with a snap of a convention worker, the sword is destroyed. According to Nikachu on her Instagram story, the worker was not a Twitch employee — which could easily be misunderstood from the context and titling of the clip. “My poor sword. It was not a Twitch Employee. He was part of the Rai Center. He ‘apologized’ and I will repair it!”

Chilling Fortnite Valkyrie cosplay will leave fans frozen in awe – Dexerto
Chilling Fortnite Valkyrie cosplay will leave fans frozen in awe L: Germia – Instagram R: Epic GamesThis cosplay of the Valkyrie skin might be the best take we’ve seen on a Fortnite outfit so far. The Valkyrae skin was released back in 2018 but remains one of the most detailed character designs we’ve seen in Fortnite to date. Having been introduced in Fortnite Season 5, this Legendary outfit is very hard to come by today and you won’t see too many players rocking it anymore. The outfit itself ran players a whopping 2,000 V-Bucks, but it can become much pricier thanks to the pickaxe, glider, and back bling that are all included in the set. Its intricate design is why Valkyrie remains a very popular skin to cosplay, thanks to the elaborate amount of detail Epic put into it. Cosplayer Germia unveiled her own take on the model, quickly blowing fans away with what could very possibly be the best Fortnite cosplay we’ve seen so far. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8E16qRD5LK/ While the design is from Fortnite, many fans will instantly make connections to the HBO series Game of Thrones as she looks like she could sit on a throne right next to the villainous Night King. Germia revealed her finished cosplay on February 2, but fans who follow her on Instagram knew she has been working on the outfit for quite a while now, as she posted frequent updates leading up to this moment. https://www.instagram.com/p/B71IeZSDyJQ/ The Norwegian cosplayer couldn’t have picked a better option from Fortnite as the Valkyrie skin is based on the warrior angels of the same name from Norse mythology. Fortnite Season 5’s theme was Worlds Collide, meaning it was a perfect opportunity to introduce some mythology into the game. One of the teasers leading up to the season included a frozen ax, which was the first indication for players that Epic Games were willing to add some new ideas to the game. Now that she’s shown her Valkyrie cosplay to the world, we’re excited to see what Germia is able to come up with next. It’ll be hard to do, but perhaps she could even top this latest design with her next project.

But sometimes a cosplay goes beyond just the actual design for the character by incorporating intricate photo shoots to add certain elements to the cosplay that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. Take this collaboration that brought Muzan to life by cosplayer known as ‘arisaguigui,’ who dances between elegant and menacing while showing off the entire design. Fans will remember Muzan’s appearance as a woman just before going on a rather bloody spree in the story. This laid down the groundwork for fans to give their interpretation for the gender-bent version of the character. The devil is in the details for arisaguigui’s cosplay which incorporates a traditional Japanese Kimono that hides something more sinister from the surface. A close up of the eyes reveal a dark red iris with a demonically narrow pupil staring daggers at the camera. The production behind the photoshoot is epic, to say the least. Incorporating hellish imagery surrounding the cosplayer, the bizarre additions make the elegance of arisaguigui’s cosplay evolve to something more disturbing by contrast. While the cosplay takes a frightening turn with its setting, the elements are picture-perfect for the vile leader of the Twelve Demon Moons. https://twitter.com/arisaguigui/status/1196120338104385541 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been one of the breakout anime of the past decade, and its manga has been a favorite among enthusiasts since its 2016 debut. The franchise’s meteoric rise has produced spin-off manga, multiple light novels, and a successful anime that should be getting its second season sometime in 2020. For many fans, the anime can’t come soon enough, especially for cosplayers who are eager to take on more characters from the series. Arisaguigui take on Muzan isn’t the first time cosplayers have given their spins on Demon Slayer characters, and with its growing fan base, it certainly won’t be the last.

Charming Overwatch cosplay proves why Black Cat is D.Va’s best skin Instagram: @kitsuneraposa / Blizzard EntertainmentA talented Overwatch cosplayer showed off her take on Korean tank hero D.Va, and showed exactly why Black Cat is one of the game’s best skins. D.Va was awarded with her Black Cat skin in January 2018 as part of a major cosmetics update for the hero shooter, and almost instantly, people fell head over heels in love with it. Players have even created outfits based off of the costume, which cosplayer Renata Melo did, sharing her incredibly charming take on the popular cosmetic. Black Cat D.Va comes to life In the tank’s outfit, she wears a black lace gothic-Lolita influenced dress similar to that of a Korean maid costume, with full-length black tights and similarly colored shoes. The Brazilian nails every single aspect perfectly, and included every intricate feature of the dress, including the white pearl and pink ribbon detailing around her waist. She even paired it up with similar ribbons around her wrists, and replicated the character’s necklace choker with a matching one too. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7OyrzcDR5l/ Another shot shares a closer look at the cosplayer’s hair and makeup, which again mimics the Korean’s with incredible accuracy. She even included her cat ears headband and added more pink ribbons to the side of her head to tie the whole look together perfectly. Her bold eyelashes and simple makeup also complement the hero, and gives her a flushed, fresh-faced appearance that just completes the outfit flawlessly. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7qrNhbjJuu/ Renata’s work is clearly a big hit with fans as she currently boasts over 20,400 followers on her Instagram page at this time of writing. She has been dressing up as various characters since 2011, and is dedicated to the world of cosplay. Not only does the Brazilian create costumes from Overwatch, she’s also designed ones for other games such as League of Legends, Final Fantasy VII, and Tekken 7.

Charli D’Amelio & Avani absolutely nailed these SpongeBob cosplays Avani & Charli D’Amelio | TikTokTikTok stars Charli D’Amelio and Avani Gregg have unleashed their unexpected and amazing SpongeBob SquarePants cosplays, based on two of the show’s best superheroes. The D’Amelio sisters, Charli and Dixie, have absolutely blown up in 2021 thanks to their lip-syncing efforts on TikTok. However, just like other creators, they’re breaking into new ground with experimental content, and it’s taken them into the popular world of cosplay. Aptly timed for the Halloween season, people are once again dressing up as their favorite characters. There’s been a noticeable shift towards cosplay in October among Twitch streamers, TikTokers, and other influencers – as you might expect. Charli D’Amelio unveils perfect SpongeBob cosplay This take on Sponebob’s Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy might be one of the best from a TikTok star so far, as Charli teamed up with her friend Avani. Avani – taking on the role of Barnacle Boy – has over 17 million followers on Instagram and has been teaming up with the D’Amelios for some time now. Wearing long blue boots, a red crop top, and white headgear, it couldn’t be much closer to the character in terms of accuracy. That leaves Charli with Mermaid Main, where she pulled off the iconic ‘M belt’ and green leggings. View this post on Instagram They posted their cosplays to Instagram on October 27, racking up nearly three million likes. Other creators have been hard at work taking pictures of themselves dressed as popular characters, too, including Sydeon, who recently cosplayed as a Star Wars Sith lord. Whether or not this is just the start of a Halloween costume spree for Charli and Avani remains to be seen, but with so much interaction this time out, it looks likely.

Cats cosplaying Dragon Ball’s Beerus are adorably taking over TikTok – Dexerto
Cats cosplaying Dragon Ball’s Beerus are adorably taking over TikTok Pexels, Alina Vilchenko / Toei AnimationDragon Ball’s Lord Beerus is a God of Destruction, but apparently also divine cosplay inspiration — as TikTok has been overwhelmed by Sphynx cats going viral while costumed as the fictional deity. As the story goes, Dragon Ball’s original series author, Akira Toriyama, intended for Beerus’s name to be a pun on “beer,” a beverage which DBZ characters are known to enjoy. Conversely, scriptwriter Yusuke Watanabe intended for the name to be a pun on “virus.” Fittingly then, Beerus has now gone viral on TikTok, with cute (sometimes grumpy) cats bringing the antagonist to the real world. And, as you might expect, the results are glorious. Beerus, based on Egyptian deities, is a cat-like creature with large ears and hairless purple skin. He rocks a sweet, primarily blue outfit that seems to take inspiration from both the Egyptian gods and DBZ’s typical martial arts garb. Those main components run similarly across each cosplay, but there are some major differences as well. Shared by ‘cutepetshow’ on TikTok, a video of a cat posing, fully costumed, as Beerus has earned hundreds of thousands of views. Using a filter, the video turns the suddenly bipedal cosplay cat into an impressively drawn addition to a DBZ shot. https://twitter.com/Dashy_Love/status/1359473751033860098 This seems to be based on an original video from a Chinese TikTok, showcasing multiple poses from a perfect little IRL Beerus. While the Sphynx cat lacks Beerus’s muscles, it does seem to fit perfectly into the scene — surrounded by fellow characters from the Dragon Ball universe. Read more: Can you see who shared your TikTok? – On the opposite end of the spectrum, TikTok’s ‘bobieooo’ showcased the similarities between their cat and Beerus with a very different vibe. Set to the tune of Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How to Dougie,” the cosplay cat brings attitude and props to life. You can even sense a slight desire to reign destruction upon the filmmaking humans in their vicinity. As you can see in bobieooo’s video, Sphynx cats are ideal Beerus cosplayers. Whether it’s looking a little cranky like a proper antagonist or looking wise and mighty, the cat puts convention goers to shame. If anything should be taken away from this new trend, it’s that those attending anime conventions in future years will need to step their games up. Cats are learning to cosplay and…they’re pretty godly.

Brilliant Overwatch Pharah Qinglong cosplay blasts off to viral status – Dexerto
Brilliant Overwatch Pharah Qinglong cosplay blasts off to viral status Instagram/medha.vi/Blizzard EntertainmentAn Overwatch cosplayer did a fantastic job at bringing Pharah’s Qinglong Lunar New Year skin to life with a sleek outfit. Taking to Reddit, user Medhavi321 posted a photo of herself dressed up with the emblem on her chest lighting up. The cosplay is really one of the most impressive Pharah concepts yet. Aside from not including a fully-functional jetpack, the outfit includes a neatly designed dragon helmet that perfectly aligns with the skin it’s based off. Not only that, but Medha even went out of her way to acquire sharp emerald contacts that shine just like Pharah’s do when the skin is equipped in-game. Every nook and cranny of the cosplay seems ripped right from the game, including the coloring and gold plating on the armor. “How would you recommend getting started in the dress-up for a Comic-Con?” a user asked the redditor in the comments section. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2hNIKkljX5/ “For starters don’t stress on details,” Medhavi321 responded. “Eva foam is the basic material most of the cosplayers work on. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube how to build props.” The Qinglong Pharah skin was first added to Overwatch as part of the Chinese New Year event in 2018 and is considered one of the absolute best skins to be added in the event’s history. Qinglong is a reference to the Azure Dragon – one of the Dragon Gods in Chinese culture. You can see why Blizzard went to such great lengths to ensure the skin was so well-crafted. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu52B98llTB/ Medhavi’s other cosplays include DOTA 2’s Legion Commander, Black Widow from Marvel comic books, and even Triss Merigold from The Witcher 3. With such incredible talent, we can’t wait to see what this cosplayer will sink her teeth into next. The sky is clearly the limit.

Brilliant Overwatch cosplay brings Tracer’s Halloween Terror skin to life – Dexerto
Brilliant Overwatch cosplay brings Tracer’s Halloween Terror skin to life nonbinate/Instagram/BlizzardOne creative Overwatch fan has created a picture-perfect cosplay of Tracer’s Halloween Terror skin that looks like it stepped right out of the game into real life. Despite being the covergirl, Tracer has only gotten one Halloween Terror skin throughout the entire history of the game, which is a bit surprising considering Ana has like 15 at this point (okay, she actually only has three, but you get our point). The faster-than-time hero is also unsurprisingly one of the most popular heroes for fans to cosplay, and a new creation by cosplayer nonbinate on Instagram is about as close you can physically get to the “perfect” Tracer Will-O’-Wisp look. View this post on Instagram We’ll start at the top (literally) by taking a look at that impressive blue ‘do, compare them side by side with actual Tracer, and not a strand seems to be out of place. The ghostly eyes are a nice addition as well, and of course, things wouldn’t be complete without the evil/adorable Jack o’ Lantern replacing the Chronal Accelerator on her chest. Finally, the armor and other props they included really bring the whole thing together, and make this one of the best Tracer cosplays we’ve seen in a minute, even if it is a little out of season. If you thought this was nonbinate’s first time taking a swing at Tracer, you would be very wrong, as it’s actually the fourth skin for the hero that they’ve cosplayed, probably making it safe to say the speedy DPS is their favorite hero. View this post on Instagram We just got done with one of the biggest weekends for cosplay so far this year with the BlizzConline Cosplay Contest, with a World of Warcraft design taking the top spot. We’re not saying nonbinate’s Tracer would have beat them, but it certainly could have given the finalists a run for their money. With the slew of Overwatch 2 news we got as well, we wouldn’t doubt the cosplayer is already thinking about how they’re going to pull off her look for the sequel. If it’s anything like the past iterations though, we can’t wait to see it.

Breathtaking Princess Mononoke cosplay sends Studio Ghibli fans wild – Dexerto
Breathtaking Princess Mononoke cosplay sends Studio Ghibli fans wild Celebrating the 20 years since Princess Mononoke’s release in the USA, an incredibly talented cosplayer shared her mindblowingly accurate portrayal of San – the princess of the Wolf Gods – and it’s so good it’s as if the character jumped from out the anime itself. Princess Mononoke originally released in 1997 in Japan, and to the rest of the the world two years later. The groundbreaking animation was the seventh film for legendary anime director Hayao Miyazaki, as well as in the top 10 highest grossing films of all time in Japan. The film centers around Prince Ashitaka who’s village is attacked by a demon, and after his body is cursed to death he sets out on a journey to discover where the corrupted beast came from, and to look for a cure – although he’s resigned to his fate regardless of the outcome. After discovering that demon was the result of a mining town destroying a forest nearby, he soon discovers San – a wolf princess who is waging war to save the home of the wolves that raised her. One talented cosplayer took it to another level by bringing her to life. Cosplayer ‘Keren Lin‘ shared her costume on her Instagram, and awed fans with her accurate depiction of the iconic anime character. The cosplay perfectly recreates the character’s outfit, including her bone necklace, and clay red mask with the wolf hide attached. Read More: Top 10 best Pokemon Sword & Shield cosplays – She also gets every detail right, even down to her large earrings, the little cloth armbands, as well as her handmade blue skirt that is created from torn pieces of clothing. Even more impressive is how the designer embodies the character’s spirit by creating her iconic pose from the film, and really gives it that movie-to-life touch. https://www.instagram.com/p/B39ZdMkD-8_/ As if that wasn’t mindblowing enough, the artist partnered with an adorable white furred dog, that looks exactly like the wolves from the film. On her social media account, she said the canine’s name is Luna. What looks as if it could be a scene directly from the anime, Keren Lin poses outdoor with the pup, and kneels beside it, while resting her head against him – capturing the connection the princess has to the spirit of the animals. While the cute dog is not big enough for her to ride on like in the film, it’s incredible how much effort went into this cosplay to truly recreate the iconic character from the popular Ghibli film. The costume also includes an accurate replica of the character’s dagger. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3-Y_GpjkrB/ Keren Lin has a ton of costumes on her social media account, ranging from anime to video game characters, and are all worth checking out. Her Princess Mononoke cosplay is without a doubt one of the best ones we’ve ever seen of the legendary anime, and is a great way to celebrate its undying legacy.

Borderlands cosplayer wows fans as mindblowing Mad Moxxi – Dexerto
Borderlands cosplayer wows fans as mindblowing Mad Moxxi Instagram: dariarooz / Gearbox[jwplayer MDxzN19r]A talented Borderlands cosplayer has created an incredible recreation of one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters, the outlandish NPC Mad Moxxi. It’s been a while since fans of the series got their hands on a new Borderlands title, with the third game in the franchise releasing in September 2019 to critical acclaim and players ecstatic to get another chance to explore the beautiful and mysterious post-apocalyptic world that Gearbox Software has created. For fans of Borderlands, the distinct art style and fascinating characters make it a popular game to cosplay, and perhaps no character is cosplayed more than Mad Moxxi, a character that players don’t even get to control, but who has a major role to play in the story, and your journey through the game. Mad Moxxi first appeared in Borderlands 2 and offers players many of the missions they take on around Pandora. The owner of numerous bars, Moxxi is a big fan of violence and combat, and was a talented fighter in her own right in her earlier years. Running her own bar aboard the Sanctuary III starship, she always has a task or two for anyone who enters the bar, although they almost always involve some sort of battle. Mad Moxxi is instantly recognizable even to those who haven’t played Borderlands, with her outfit unlike anything seen in any other game. She’s rarely seen without a red top hat, which is slightly too small, perched on top of her head, and a form-fitting dress that has striped collars and sleeves. Her makeup is also distinct, making sure she is always pale, but with bright rosy cheeks. Russian cosplayer Daria Rooz showed off her incredible take on the character in a shoot with photographer ‘kmitenkova‘, complete with an incredible background and some unbelievable make-up that makes the bar owner look like she has truly come to life in one of the most incredible Mad Moxxi cosplays you’re ever likely to see. Borderlands cosplayer transforms into unbelievably detailed Psycho – Dexerto
Borderlands cosplayer transforms into unbelievably detailed Psycho It’s a difficult task for any Borderlands cosplayer to truly capture the game’s unique art style. However, one cosplayer has achieved exactly that with her unbelievable recreation of one of the game’s Psychos. From the unique art style to the wacky characters scattered across each of the titles diverse landscapes, Borderlands is a gaming experience that’s difficult to forget. It’s safe to say for Borderlands cosplayers, recreating one of the game’s Psychos is a must. However, it’s difficult to find a more accurate recreation of a Psycho than hallogeenlamp’s recent cosplay. Borderlands Cosplayer’s Flawless Recreation of a Psycho Hallogeenlamp’s cosplay is nothing short of flawless in depicting the deranged maniacs of Borderlands 3. The outstanding recreation took two weeks in total to prepare and design. The most impressive aspect of the cosplay is her makeup that mirrors the unique art style showcased throughout the Borderlands series. On top of this, her mask is perfect and captures the unpredictable and dangerous nature of the Psychos. There’s no doubt that Hallogeenlamp’s cosplay is flawless from top to bottom and a magnificent tribute to the Borderlands franchise. You can find her on Twitter at @apocalypse_cos.

Borderlands 3 cosplayers stun Pandora as Tyreen & Troy Calypso – Dexerto
Borderlands 3 cosplayers stun Pandora as Tyreen & Troy Calypso Gearbox/IG: rexmacabreA popular cosplayer by the name ‘Rex Macabre’ has stunned Borderlands 3 fans with their incredible interpretation of Tyreen Calypso, Pandora’s most dastardly villain. Borderlands 3’s release back in late 2019 has led to a host of incredible cosplays. A game so creatively designed was always going to encourage cosplayers to try their hand at some outfits, and it’s fair to say that we haven’t been disappointed. We’ve already seen multiple incredible takes on Mad Moxxi, including this one that was debuted at Supanova Melbourne back in March. One of the hardest parts of a Borderlands 3 cosplay is re-creating the unique, cartoon-contoured aesthetic that Gearbox Software have pioneered. It’s fair to say that Rex has more than stood up to the task. Shared to their Instagram on May 1, Rex posted an “incredible photo” of their Tyreen Calypso cosplay, captioned: “Don’t expect mercy, super-fan. I’m not that kinda god.” The cosplayer’s outfit is near spot on too, capturing the dark, brooding essence of Calypso perfectly. Borderlands 3 released on September 13 of 2019 and quickly received both critical and commercial acclaim. It seems both reviewers and players were excited at another opportunity to explore Gearbox Software’s post-apocalyptic world. A game as outlandish and creatively designed as Borderlands will inevitably see cosplayers take on the challenge, as one artist has demonstrated yet again. One of the most popular characters in Borderlands 3 to cosplay, the fan shared their outfit from Supanova Melbourne, which took place from March 6-8, 2020. The comic book and gaming convention is travelling around Australia, as a host of fans from down under come together to celebrate their shared interests. Mad Moxxi first featured in Borderlands 2, and offers players many of their mission as they explore Pandora. She is known for her trademark top hat and tip jar, as well as the dark, gothic make-up. Borderlands 3 cosplayer wows Pandora with incredible Gaige outfit Gearbox SoftwareOne cosplayer with the Reddit username ‘jessilyncupcake’ has stunned Borderlands 3 fans with an absolutely incredible take on Gaige, the popular NPC from Gearbox Software’s 2019 title. Since Borderlands 3 released back in late 2019, we have been treated to a host of incredible cosplays. A game so creatively designed was always going to encourage cosplayers to try their hand at some outfits, and it’s fair to say that we haven’t been disappointed. We’ve already seen multiple incredible takes on Mad Moxxi, including this one that was debuted at Supanova Melbourne back in March. However, Jess has taken on a slightly different task – that of Gaige, the popular character who first appeared in Borderlands 2. Gaige was originally a playable character in the Borderlands series, but was brought back as a non-playable character (NPC) in Borderlands 3. She made her way to Pandora from Eden-5, and originally conceived Deathtrap – her action skill – as a science fair project to combat bullying. Away from her skills and lore, she is known for her unique look. She sports some awesome, spiky body armor, hooped black and white bottoms, and bright red pig-tails. As you can see, the cosplayer has got just about every aspect spot on, utilizing body paint and prosthetics to perfect the look. Feedback to the cosplay was overwhelmingly positive, with many users praising the attention to detail and accuracy of the look. At the time of writing the cosplay sits at nearly 3,000 upvotes, reflecting the esteem with which it has been received. Jess explained that she created the hair using 4mm and 10mm eva foam, which worked perfectly at emulating Borderlands 3’s unique aesthetics. As cosplays go, this is one of the best we’ve ever seen.

The beloved title kicked off an entire franchise and helped popularize the “looter shooter” genre. One of the game’s most popular characters is Maya. Celebrating the blue-haired Siren, a skilled cosplayer transformed into her with an insanely accurate costume. She looks so much like the heroine, it’s almost as if she’s warped out of the screen. Cosplayer Mads ‘madsfive‘ brought the heroine to life with her insanely accurate costume posted to Instagram. The artist faithfully captured the game’s signature cel-shaded graphics by texturing her clothing to look like the FPS title’s artstyle. What could easily be mistaken for a screenshot from the game, Mads expertly edited the picture of herself with an image of Windshear Waste in the background. Her stunning costume blends in with the winter location, and truly brings the Siren to reality. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFr6hvvDPsP/ In another shot posted to social media, the cosplayer shows just how accurate her costume actually is by posing next to an image of Maya from the game. Mads absolutely nailed the character’s short blue haircut, as well as her yellow bodysuit which runs under her cargo pants. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFZ8SG2D7hp/ As if her cel-shaded costume wasn’t impressive enough, the artist also re-created a weapon from the game, as well as the shield item which characters have strapped to the side of their waist. The cosplayer has actually made several guns and items, which can be seen on her Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEj6qAKjtc-/ Despite releasing over a decade ago in 2009, Borderlands has gone on to become of the games industry’s most popular properties of all time. Borderlands 3 cosplay finally gives Tiny Tina the recognition she deserves – Dexerto
Borderlands 3 cosplay finally gives Tiny Tina the recognition she deserves One Borderlands 3 fan has brought everyone’s favorite mentally unstable NPC, Tiny Tina, to life with a fantastic-looking cosplay that really nails the character’s unique look. Tiny Tina was introduced to players in Borderlands 2 as a 12-year-old kid who escapes from Hyperion, vowing revenge on the organization for killing both of her parents. By the time we get to Borderlands 3, Tina is 19 and a member of the Crimson Raiders, and is eventually available as a companion to fight alongside the vault hunter. The iconic bunny ears are front and center for this cosplay, along with the awesomely creepy rabbit mask she wears around the side of her head. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5sXxQIjbb7/ One thing about Borderlands cosplays that’s always impressive is how the artists manage to display the game’s iconic thick outlined style using body paint and makeup. Harleychainsaw really managed to make themselves, their weapons, and all of Tina’s accessories look like an IRL cartoon character using this style. The outfit must have taken some serious time to create, and even though harley doesn’t say exactly how long it took, the amount of detail points at multiple days/weeks/or even months of work. https://www.instagram.com/p/B214fnplJ1e/ There have been plenty of Borderlands 3 cosplays circling the net since the game came out in September 2019, and harley’s is definitely up there with the best of them.

Bloodborne cosplayer joins the hunt with viral Lady Maria outfit – Dexerto
Bloodborne cosplayer joins the hunt with viral Lady Maria outfit FromSoftware / Twitter: @eliteknightset[jwplayer hRlzg0BA] A talented Bloodborne fan went viral on Twitter with an amazing cosplay of Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower from The Old Hunters DLC. Their take is so impressive, it’s almost as though the student of Gehrman has sliced her way out of the screen and into reality. If you’re a Dark Souls fan, there’s no doubt you’ve heard or played Bloodborne. Often donned as a faster-paced Souls game, the action role-playing title – which released in 2015 – is notorious for its high difficulty level and H. P. Lovecraft-inspired world design. It is set in the mysterious city of Yharnam, and sees the player take control of a Hunter to try and find out why its citizens have been afflicted with a blood-borne disease. At the end of 2015, the title’s DLC, The Old Hunters, added new locations, enemies, and more to the RPG. Straight away, players fell in love with Lady Maria – a boss at the Astral Clocktower – and she quickly became one of the IP’s most-adored characters. So much so, that a skilled fan of both the game and the female foe made waves on Twitter after sharing their incredible cosplay take on her. Bloodborne cosplayer’s amazing Lady Maria costume On October 4, Twitter user and proclaimed Soulsborne superfan ‘@eliteknightset‘ – also known as Eli – shared their take on the boss of the Astral Clocktower. It quickly kicked up a storm in the cosplay community, and has pulled in 3.2k likes at the time of writing. It’s easy to see why it was so well-received – their getup is simply amazing. In the RPG, the character’s Hunter attire can be bought from the Insight Bath Messenger after beating her, and the cosplayer’s work is so true to the game, it looks as though they’ve warped to Hunter’s Dream themselves and picked it up. Lady Maria’s outfit consists of a cap with a white feather, gloves, trousers, and a black and gold collared garb intricately detailed with belts and a white ruffled shirt. It looks as though it would be difficult to recreate, but Eli makes it look effortless. https://twitter.com/eliteknightset/status/1312892594418970624 In another set of photos appropriately captioned with the quote “Hello, good hunter,” the Bloodborne fan dressed up as the Doll who sits outside the Workshop at the Hunter’s Dream. The Doll wears a brown bonnet, along with an intricate garb littered with floral lumenflower detailing, and a lengthy black skirt. Again, this is something that Eli replicated perfectly. They even used light face makeup to really accentuate the toy-like appearance. Gehrman, the toy’s maker, modelled her after his favorite student, Lady Maria, and her sole purpose is to help hunters who are passing through. She aids the player by allowing them to spend their Blood Echoes to level up their stats, making her probably the most important character in the entire game. https://twitter.com/eliteknightset/status/1309961218581344257 Bloodborne is continuously heralded as one of the best video games of all time, and one of the top PlayStation 4 exclusives. A sequel is desperately wanted by players, although nothing official has been confirmed to be in the works just yet. Read More: Everything we know about Final Fantasy 16 – Fans don’t need to worry about it being left behind on the PS4, however, as the action RPG is coming to PS5 as part of the PS Plus Collection – a new benefit offered to PS+ subscribers that allows them to access and play certain PlayStation 4 games on the next-gen console.

Blind cosplayer wows Borderlands 3 fans with incredible outfit – Dexerto
Blind cosplayer wows Borderlands 3 fans with incredible outfit Gearbox StudiosBlind cosplayer Lisa Lou has stunned the internet with her incredible Borderlands 3 outfit, showcasing an expertly crafted Mad Moxxi. Borderlands 3 released on September 13 to critical acclaim, with both reviewers and players ecstatic at another opportunity to drop in to Gearbox Software’s chaotic world. While feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, there are obviously a few minor issues with the game, as there is with any new release. One popular cosplayer has shown her passion for the game with an incredible outfit looking to emulate the look of Mad Moxxi, a non-playable mission provider in Borderlands 3. It’s made even more incredible considering that Lisa is legally blind, but still gets the cosplay basically spot on. Mad Moxxi first featured in Borderlands 2, and offers players many of their mission as they explore Pandora. She is known for her trademark top hat and tip jar, which Lisa nails, along with every other aspect of the outfit. She shared the photos to Twitter on September 14, explaining how she has managed to learn to do her make-up without being able to use visual feedback as she does it. I honestly think makeup has been the hardest thing to re-learn as a blind cosplayer. I do it entirely now without a mirror. Like I stand in front of a mirror just cuz it feels right, but I use feel and muscle memory. It’s been a journey getting to this point: pic.twitter.com/rVg8X0WKWC — Lisa Lou (@LisaLouTweets) September 14, 2019 “I honestly think makeup has been the hardest thing to re-learn as a blind cosplayer,” she explained. “It’s been a journey getting to this point.” In a second tweet, she went a little deeper, relaying how hard she has found painting since going blind. “Painting in general is hard and makeup is a version of painting, except delicate,” she said. “It’s been a lot of trial and error.” Like painting in general is hard and makeup is a version of painting, except delicate, and an outside expectation to get it perfect every time. So it’s been a lot of trial and error. — Lisa Lou (@LisaLouTweets) September 14, 2019 Feedback to Lou’s cosplay was overwhelmingly positive, with many stunned at how well the small details were replicated, such as the eye shadow and tip jar. “You look absolutely stunning and did a rad job Lisa,” one Twitter user said. Another went for: “Tagging my friend in this. She’s blind from birth and very good at makeup so the two of you may appreciate one another.” It seems like people are being inspired by Lou’s incredible cosplay and, after looking at how accurate it is, it’s no surprise why.

Bleach cosplayer transforms into exotic Arrancar warrior Nelliel Tu – Dexerto
Bleach cosplayer transforms into exotic Arrancar warrior Nelliel Tu Instagram: @juliannedarlen / Viz MediaBleach cosplays are all the rage these days, especially with the anime picking up where it left once again, but one cosplayer has generated a lot of buzz on social media with a fierce but adorable Nelliel Tu cosplay.[jwplayer BhEA0h1N] Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, better known as Nel, is one of the more eccentric characters in bleach. She’s first introduced as an adorable but quirky Arrancar child with hazel eyes and green hair. Initially, she believes Soul Reapers are evil and the sworn-enemies of her kind. However, she quickly becomes attached to Ichigo Kurosaki and follows him around in his quest to find Las Noches. Eventually, she returns to her true adult form with a curvaceous figure and long waving hair. It was a surprise that many fans didn’t expect. It made her more cool, calm, collected, and intelligent, and also made her immensely more powerful. However, in spite of all that, she still retained her child-like affection and innocence. The unexpected transformation into an adult made her one of the most interesting characters on the show. A cosplayer named Julianne Darlen has taken her adoration of Nelliel Tu to the next level. She rocked an amazing outfit that captured the moment Nelliel Tu transforms from a child into an adult. The green robe she was wearing tore and contoured to her shapely complexion. Her hair green grows longer as well, although the half a skull on her head remains in-tact. Julianne Darlen re-created it to perfection. View this post on Instagram The level of detail in the skull is incredible. It’s almost an exact match to the one in the show. The shape and eyes are spot on and it even has the same fracture. But let’s not forget about the shades of green in her hair and in the outfit, which couldn’t be more perfect either. The red make-up smeared across her face was a nice touch as well. It looks exactly like Nelliel Tu’s trademark scar. Julianne Darlen hasn’t missed a thing in this cosplay. She even included a second shot with a different expression, showcasing Nelliel Tu’s conflicting innocence and strength. All in all, it was an incredible piece. It’s already drawn a lot of attention on social media, and it’s bound to gain even more as time goes on.

Bleach cosplayer succumbs to the Hollow as Ichigo with female twist – Dexerto
Bleach cosplayer succumbs to the Hollow as Ichigo with female twist Instagram: @julie_odsgaard / Viz MediaIt’s good to embrace your dark side every once in a while, and that’s exactly what this Bleach cosplayer has done, with a magnificent version of Hollow Ichigo from the iconic anime’s Soul Society Arc.[jwplayer Mzvbhb1E] Bleach was one of the most popular and iconic anime in history. It ran for eight years between 2004 and 2008 and spanned a whopping 366 episodes. Sadly, it dipped in quality at times due to extensive filler arcs. But when it was on track and in line with the manga, it was an incredible watch. The story revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki, a human who becomes a Soul Reaper after he gets attacked by a wayward spirit called a Hollow. Rukia Kuchiki, a highly ranked and noble Soul Reaper, plunges her sword into his heart to save his life, and by doing so, transfers her powers to him. From there, he learns how to use his powers and defend spirits and humans from other Hollows. The story really kicks into gear during the beloved Soul Society Arc, in which Rukia is taken back and sentenced to death to ‘atone for her crime.’ Ichigo makes it his mission to save her, and along the way, makes new friends and becomes immensely powerful. But one of the friends he makes is the darkness within himself, which personifies itself in the form of a Hollow mask that appears on his face. Eventually, it helps him in times of need. But in one of the greatest fights and scenes in anime history, his inner Hollow almost takes over completely and essentially ‘possesses’ his body. A cosplayer named Julie Odsgaard wanted to pay homage to that scene: “[It] was probably one of my favorites in the soul society arc, so I just had to recreate it!” “I got liquid latex [out] for this look,” she added. “I really hope you all like it.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CGdDK5opzcF/ Julie is referring to her badass recreation of Ichigo’s outfit. It’s not often you see a cosplayer depart from Ichigo’s more traditional baggy look. But she’s done an incredible job to create her own unique style, and the female twist makes it even better. What’s more, the orange hair and the fake-blood and tape on her cheek are great, and the Hollow bandages on her collar and chest look spot on. Still, the highlight has to be the fractured Hollow mask, which looks as real as it gets. It’s always nice to see fans transform themselves into their favorite characters, and it’s even better when they nail it.

Bleach cosplayer shows off jaw-dropping take on warrior Nel Tu – Dexerto
Bleach cosplayer shows off jaw-dropping take on warrior Nel Tu Instagram: purplesakura / Studio PierrotA Bleach fan has shown off their incredible take on the anime’s character Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, a top-ranked and powerful Arrancar who fights against the Gotei 13 during Aizen’s War. The anime follows the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who obtains Soul Reaping powers from a Shinigami, protecting civilians from ghosts and evil spirits who are attempting to hurt and kill them, while guiding those who have passed away safely into the afterlife. During Bleach, the Gotei 13, a Soul Society which most reapers join when they first become Shinigami end up battling with another group of powerful former of Hollow-Shinigami hybrids, introducing a character that quickly became a fan-favorite in the form of Odelschwanck, more commonly referred to as Nel Tu. Nel has two different forms, her child version and adult version which she switches in and out of throughout the anime, and despite being a powerful warrior with incredible skills in combat, the character is defined by her dislike of actual fighting. She refuses to finish off weak or injured enemies despite the situation, stopping once they’ve been incapacitated, something which fans of the anime quickly came to admire. While her pacifism is a major part of her personality, her outfit certainly doesn’t make that clear, wearing a large white skull on top of her head, which cosplayer ‘purplesakura’ matched perfectly, complete with the horns that come down which sit out at either side. Her turquoise hair falls down across her shoulders too, with a near-match of the bright hair color that the character has in the show. Purplesakura even matched the same red line that Nel wears across her face, going from one cheek to the other across the bridge of her nose, and wears the same torn dress that the character is often seen in, with a single strand connecting the top and bottom which have been destroyed after tough battles. View this post on Instagram Katsucon was so fun ! I meet so many amaizing cosplayers ? defenetly coming back next year !! Thank you to every one ??? Fans continue to hope that it will return in the future, and while nothing has been confirmed, Bleach will be attending Anime Japan 2020 to celebrate the manga’s 20th anniversary, prompting many to believe that information about a new season will be announced there.

Bleach cosplayer hunts down her prey as Shark Empress Tia Halibel – Dexerto
Bleach cosplayer hunts down her prey as Shark Empress Tia Halibel Nunaleo / Viz MediaBleach fans love dressing up their favorite heroes and villains from the show, but one talented cosplayer decided to take on Tia Halibel, who blurs the line between the two. Tia Halibel is first introduced as a villain and the third-ranked Espada in Aizen Sōsuke’s army. However, despite how intimidating she looks, she is one of the calmest and most level-headed members of the pack. In fact, Tia Halibel doesn’t have a villainous personality at all. She doesn’t seem interested in bloodshed and violence and deeply cares about her colleagues. What’s more, she hates the idea of killing others, especially if it’s done to gain power. Still, Tia Halibel has a wild side, and it shows when others are harmed or when she’s betrayed. In those instances, she can be aggressive and brutal, which makes sense considering she’s nicknamed the Shark Empress. Tia Halibel blurs the line between a villain and an anti-hero of sorts, and for that reason, fans are drawn to her. However, none have shown their adoration of her better than a cosplayer and model named Nunaleo. “Second shoot with the Halibel costume, this time solo,” she said. “I had made the weapon with the help of my little @syza_cos for the occasion!” Nunaleo rocked Tia Halibel’s unique outfit to perfection. The white jacket with black seams looks flawless, along with the matching pants and black sash around her waist. View this post on Instagram She also matched green eyes, olive skin, trademark short blonde hair, and the number three tattoo on her breast, which rounded it off nicely. However, the highlight is definitely the hollow mask around her face and collar. It’s crazy how she managed to make it look so real. It looks even better in a second shot, which also showcases the weapon. View this post on Instagram Nunaleo has many brilliant cosplays on her Instagram. She’s done everything from Spider Gwen and Wonder Woman to Mount Lady from My Hero Academia. Still, she managed to outdo herself this time, with one of the best Tia Halibel cosplays we’ve ever seen.

Bleach cosplayer flash-freezes the competition as ice-cold Rukia Kuchiki – Dexerto
Bleach cosplayer flash-freezes the competition as ice-cold Rukia Kuchiki Instagram: @latte_french / Viz MediaBleach fans love Rukia Kuchiki for her blunt and level-headed personality, but one cosplayer has gone above and beyond to bring her to life in the most incredible way. [jwplayer BhEA0h1N] Rukia Kuchiki is the first character introduced in Bleach, and the one responsible for awakening Ichigo Kurosaki’s soul-reaper powers. It happened after she transferred her own to save him from a Hollow. It’s an action that lands her in hot water with her own kind, which kick-starts one of the all-time greatest anime and manga arcs. Rukia Kuchiki is one of the most adored characters in the storyline. She has plenty of hilarious and heart-warming moments as her friendship with Ichigo Kurosaki grows. She also becomes a formidable ally, with many strengths and few weaknesses. A cosplayer named Alexandra Golod, better known as Latte_French on Instagram, froze the hearts of her followers after she slipped into a soul-reaper kimono and brought Rukia Kuchiki into existence. It’s one of her many amazing cosplays, but it really stood out. View this post on Instagram Alexandra’s cosplay gets everything right, from the hair and outfit to the katana and pose. However, what makes it even better is the life-like background and the awesome effect of her soul-slayer. Rukia Kuchiki’s soul-slayer is called Sode no Shirayuki, and when she tells it to dance, it comes to life and lets her perform a series of ice-based abilities. This picture alone would have been impressive enough. However, she posted another one several days later. But this time, she cosplayed Rukia Kuchiki in a captain’s uniform, which happens much later in the story. View this post on Instagram The level of detail is impressive from head to toe. The white captain’s robe stands out the most, but even the sandals look like the real deal. Again, the after-effects and the background are a nice touch as well. Alexandra Golod absolutely nailed her re-creation of Rukia Kuchiki. It’s no surprise that she also happens to be her favorite Bleach character. The passion and adoration really shine through. There’s something special about paying respects to dedicated cosplayers and acknowledging them for their incredible efforts, and Alexandra Golod deserves all the praise.

It’s been a while since Bleach was on top of the anime charts. However, the beloved show and its interesting mix of characters are still a smash hit in the co-play community’s hearts and minds. But while cosplayers love dressing up as main characters like Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki, you’ll often see them show supporting characters like Nelliel Tu some love as well. However, this time, a Japanese cosplayer named Lonewolf_98 decided to dress up as Soifon. Soifon is first introduced as Soul Society’s 2nd Division Captain in Episode 24. She is a master assassin with a defensive fighting style and one of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the series. Blazing Bakugo cosplay lights up My Hero Academia fandom – Dexerto
Blazing Bakugo cosplay lights up My Hero Academia fandom kissmyashe / BonesA talented My Hero Academia fan put passion and creativity together, creating a sizzling cosplay to portray Class 1-A’s hot-headed hero, Bakugo. The MHA fanbase have created multiple incredible cosplays in the past for the dozens of students at U.A. High. We’ve seen cosplays ranging from the adorable to the terrifying, as the series lends itself to a wide-array of characters in both camps of the ‘good vs evil’ narrative. By now, fans know that Kacchan toes that line and, at times, goes too far. But there’s a plethora of devoted fans, that are firmly ‘Team Bakugo,’ who create some of the best depictions for the anime’s cast. Following that tradition, cosplayer ‘_kissmyashe’ used her graphic design quirk to elevate her Bakugo outfit even more. While her costume already had a lot for fans to love, she lit up the shot with some magic in post. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFVPLg7nGS3/ “I’m learning to create composites,” kissmyashe said of the finished product. “I love fusing reality with fantasy. I’ve always been intrigued by that. How did I do?” Of course Bakugo’s quirk is violently explosive more often than not, but the cool aesthetic of the fire she chose gives it a much slicker look to an otherwise imposing character. But Ashe also added a personal touch. Not only did the costume come with the orange-rimmed flares that come out from behind the manga character’s mask, she also added a bit of orange tips to her hair that lights up with the rest of the look. It’s fun to see your favorite anime characters brought to life when cosplayers suit up, and when they go the extra step to add those finer details, that’s when the design shines. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFcpP75nfBw/ Kissmyashe is a longtime cosplayer who’s featured characters spanning various movies and gaming franchises like Street Fighter, Pokemon, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and more. The MHA cosplay community is rife with talented designers and creators that have put together incredible recreations for their favorite characters. With her fun Bakugo reimagining, Ashe showed off another great entry in a long line of cosplays featuring the iconic My Hero Academia troupe.

Black Metal D.Va cosplay is the Halloween Overwatch skin we need – Dexerto
Black Metal D.Va cosplay is the Halloween Overwatch skin we need NellyNuttons/Blizzard EntertainmentOne Overwatch cosplayer and D.Va fan managed to create their very own skin for everyone’s favorite professional gamer/K-POP star, and it’s one that would be an instant must-buy if it were ever added to the game. We’re more than four years into Overwatch and one of the most glaring omissions that devs still need to take care of is the fact that D.Va doesn’t have a skin for the Halloween Terror event. As luck would have it though, cosplayer NellyNuttons has created her own, one-of-a-kind skin for D.Va that would be perfect for the Overwatch community’s favorite event – Black Metal D.Va. This version of Hana Song turns one of the most popular tanks in the game into the frontwoman of her own Death Metal band, and both versions definitely look the part. https://www.instagram.com/p/CD9rJPrjHx8/ Both of the versions above are great, but the one on the left more closely resembles her base skin, and features a dark leather jumpsuit and of course, long, black hair that looks perfect for rocking out instead of her traditional brunette coloring. Her Bunny Blaster and headphones are also now made out of – what else – but metal. These pair perfectly with the steel-looking shoulder armor as well, making D.Va look more intimidating than ever. The “pièce de résistance” of this cosplay (no matter which version you prefer) definitely has to be the hero’s trademark face paint, which has been turned black along with everything else and made to look like it’s melting off, probably from working up a sweat in her most recent mosh pit. https://www.instagram.com/p/CD9JNsPjH3s/ Nelly even recreated D.Va’s “Selfie” highlight pose, and switched out her usual peace sign for some horns, and a facial expression that would make Gene Simmons from KISS proud. We’re still in the middle of the Summer Games event, and Halloween Terror usually doesn’t get going until October, so we have a bit to wait until the next Overwatch seasonal event, and to see if D.Va will finally get her own skin this year.

Perfect Bewitching Miss Fortune cosplay enchants League of Legends fans – Dexerto
Perfect Bewitching Miss Fortune cosplay enchants League of Legends fans Instagram: Katkwo / Riot GamesMiss Fortune’s Bewitching skin has been brought to life in a stunning League of Legends costume worn by cosplayer Kathleen ‘KatKwo’ Wong, who unveiled her spellbinding take on the sultry ADC at PAX East in Boston. League of Legends’ sassy bounty hunter has had a long and tenured career on Summoner’s Rift, but only recently returned to the top of the MOBA’s bot lane tier list. She now sits atop the totem pole with a 51.88% win rate in Season 10. This was great news for Wong, who admits she “almost exclusively just plays Miss Fortune” when she’s loading onto the Rift. It makes complete sense then that she’s assembled one of the best takes on the champion we’ve seen! League cosplayer struts her stuff as Miss Fortune There’s plenty to love about Wong’s accurate portrayal of MF’s limited-edition Halloween skin release. The outfit — made by NayiRu and captured in all its haunting glory by photographer Phil Jamsri — gets nearly everything right. The standout piece of the ‘fit is Miss Fortune’s oversized witch’s hat. Adorned with a bronze crescent moon, the purple wide-brimmed hat shades much of the legends’ flowing red hair, both of which Wong pulls off with style. The stunning model even brought a candlewick gun to the shoot too, capturing the themed variant of Miss Fortune’s iconic pistols perfectly. The outfit is rounded out puffy cut sleeves and a crimson skirt trimmed with white. There was only one thing missing from Jamsri’s snap of Wong — MF’s tight, knee-high red boots, though considering the accuracy of the rest of the costume, there’s little doubt Wong was strutting around in those at PAX East too. View this post on Instagram Bewitching Miss Fortune – League of Legends. According to Wong, who spoke to Dexerto about the cosplay creation, NayiRu whipped it up in “literally just three days” ahead of the event. Once the model received her purple and red outfit, sent from Chile, she took it out at PAX to plenty of praise. It was a special moment for KatKwo, she added, considering MF was the hero that lured her to League in the first place. “Miss Fortune is the first character I learned how to play, and she’s now my main,” Wong told Dexerto, and admitted she “wasn’t interested in MOBAs” until she saw the pirate’s splash art. “I almost exclusively play Miss Fortune now!” Keep your eyes peeled for more works of art from Wong too. According to the League-loving cosplay model, she’s planning to attend ColossalCon 2020 as Pool Party Miss Fortune. “As long as it’s still on,” she added. Miss Fortune isn’t the only League character in her wheelhouse either. She’s also appeared as a genderbent Ryze Whitebeard in the past, and added she could consider costumes for Lux and Jinx too. There’s plenty to come!

Best anime cosplays of October 2021: My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, & more – Dexerto
Best anime cosplays of October 2021: My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, & more Instagram: hashbrowncosplay / ayuu_cosplay / nikki.lee.cosplayYet again, the past month has seen countless cosplayers flawlessly recreate some of the most iconic anime characters — here are five of the best recreations from October, featuring shows like Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and more. With the huge array of vibrant and iconic characters that have come from the anime universe, it’s no wonder that so many cosplayers have had a go at recreating them, channeling inspiration from some topical shows, along with old favorites. In the weird and wonderful world of anime, anything is possible, and that means that cosplayers have to get creative when emulating the intricate costumes originally portrayed in the classic anime art style. But it’s safe to say that cosplayers have been doing a fantastic job of replicating these characters, pulling them off the screen into real-life, and we’ve selected some of our favorites from the past month. Demon Slayer: Mother Spider Demon — Mayweda Amid the hype for the second season of hugely popular anime Demon Slayer, fans are channeling their love for the show into some stunning cosplays, and Mayweda is among them. She decided to recreate one of the main antagonists, Mother Spider Demon, a popular cosplay choice from the show, and it’s safe to say she did an amazing job. View this post on Instagram The white kimono with the red details is perfectly reminiscent of the costume from the show, with every detail of the look on point. But best of all is the makeup, the red paint on her face a spot-on imitation of the original character, pulling the whole look together and making for a cosplay that fans of the show loved. My Hero Academia: Bakugo — Michiru Ichijyou My Hero Academia constantly proves to be a fantastic source of inspiration for avid cosplayers thanks to its large cast of colorful characters, and cosplayer Michiru Ichijyou impressed fans of the show with their take on popular character Bakugo. They specifically recreated the character’s look from the new movie My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, and they had every detail down. View this post on Instagram The black and orange costume combined with the gauntlet brings the character to life perfectly, and combined with the face paint and red contact lenses, they look every bit the part of the fan-favorite character. Demon Slayer: Nezuko Kamado — Tenevi_Hagane Tenevi_Hagane is another cosplayer to have tackled a Demon Slayer cosplay this month, with the show continuing to generate a huge buzz, deciding to recreate fan-favorite character Nezuko Kamado. She captured every detail of the look perfectly, with long wavy hair with red tips flowing over her pink kimono, along with the dark robe, sash, and ribbons. View this post on Instagram And of course, she’s included the trademark bamboo muzzle, which is an iconic part of Nezuko’s look, and definitely pulls the whole thing together in a great way. Combined with the beautiful scenery in the background, this cosplay was highly appreciated by fans of the show. The cosplay community has dazzled fans with their incredible work over the last month, taking some of the most iconic characters to new levels, and thoroughly impressing anime fans across the internet.

Bella Poarch reveals her evil side on TikTok with ‘Raven’ Teen Titans cosplay – Dexerto
Bella Poarch reveals her evil side on TikTok with ‘Raven’ Teen Titans cosplay Bella Poarch, TikTok / DCBella Poarch turned her TikTok dark for a day by revealing her take on Raven from DC Comics’ popular animated superhero television series, Teen Titans. Teen Titans lasted five seasons, starting in 2003 and closing in January 2006, when it was eventually canceled. It has a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and many of its hardcore fans have been begging for the showrunners to come back with a Season 6. So far, though, that has yet to materialize. However, that hasn’t stopped passionate fans around the world – like Bella Poarch – from celebrating the series in other ways, such as cosplay. Bella Poarch reveals epic Raven cosplay on TikTok The music star and content creator revealed the cosplay on July 25, saying: “Azarath Metrion Zinthos” – a phrase used by Raven when she summons her powers. In the caption, she wrote: “My friends: Dress casual, it’s just dinner.” An elevator door swings open to reveal her glamorous recreation of Raven, featuring light pink tights, a signature hooded cape, and other features you would expect to see from the character. Bella has even put a question to her fans with this TikTok upload, asking them which cosplay they would like to see her do next. Many, though, were too busy celebrating her new song (heard in the background), or just delighted to see this outfit. Some actually couldn’t recognize her at first. One said: “NEW SONG LETS FREAKIN GOOOOOO!!!” Another replied: “I didn’t even recognize you at first!” “I didn’t know it was you until I saw the username,” a third user said, followed by: “Best Raven cosplay yet.” Who she will decide to cosplay next remains to be seen, but with over 180,000 likes and 1.8 million views, these are becoming some of her most popular posts. In the past, she’s also cosplayed Pikachu and Valorant’s Viper.

Bayonetta cosplayer’s incredible gun heels will leave you spellbound – Dexerto
Bayonetta cosplayer’s incredible gun heels will leave you spellbound Bayonetta is easily one of the most popular female video game characters to come out of the PS3 and Xbox 360 era with her dynamic look that can be a difficult task to pull off for aspiring cosplayers. However, Jess K Cosplay was up for the challenge and then some. Posting to Reddit under the account name supernes64, the user showed off her incredible Bayonetta getup equipped with the long hair, signature glasses, back exposure and earrings that made up the witch’s look from the game. Of course, one of the more difficult parts to get right are Bayonetta’s iconic gun heels strapped to her feet – not just for appearance reasons, but practicality too. No one wants to go to a convention and be falling down the entire time. As part of her costume, Jess K Cosplay went all out and included the famous weapons, but gave her outfit’s main heels a bit of space from the firearms. Overall, the whole thing was top notch and she nailed the legendary PlatinumGames protagonist. In the comments on the thread, Jess revealed that she had a lot of practice walking in the heels prior to PAX Australia. How much practice? Months. “I didn’t even have a single fall, but I actually practiced walking in them for a few months before the convention!” she wrote. However, there was definitely a physical cost to such daunting attire. “My feet were killing me,” the model explained. “I did two 7-hour days in them!” https://www.instagram.com/p/B45nguqgmt3/ Anyone wanting to see the incredible cosplay in action may get their wish as she said she might be bringing the outfit out for another spin in 2020. It would be fun to see if Jess could remodel the design slightly to match the witch’s new look as seen in Bayonetta 2. A third game in the series was announced at The Game Awards in 2017 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3qzAtigLYQ/ Outside of her main game, the character also made her way to Super Smash Bros for the Wii U as a DLC character and then on Ultimate for the Switch as part of the game’s main roster. Additionally, in 2013, an anime film titled Bayonetta: Bloody Fate was released and well-received.

League of Legends cosplayer gets straight A’s as amazing Battle Academia Caitlyn – Dexerto
League of Legends cosplayer gets straight A’s as amazing Battle Academia Caitlyn Riot Games / Instagram: EhriA League of Legends cosplayer has taken the rest of the community to school, dressing up as the prim and proper Battle Academia Caitlyn — deserving straight A’s for the effort put in. The Battle Academia skin line in League of Legends is one of the game’s most popular. Heavily influenced by hit anime My Hero Academia, Runeterra’s favorite champions are hitting the books once again with the student skins. The new set of Battle Academia skins only just dropped on March 18, after League of Legends patch 11.6 went live. In them, a new skin for Piltovan sniper Caitlyn showed her dressed up prim and proper, ready to take on the (schooling) world. Cosplayer ‘ehri’ has managed to channel the same energy as the Labrys God-Weapon Academy class president. Ehri put together the most exquisite Labrys uniform, with plenty of purple, red, and pink — just to match Caitlyn’s other skins. While there’s no big purple top hat, she does have a wonderful purple wig. She even got the plating on the shoulder pads down pat, and finished it off with a wonderful cup of tea you know Caitlyn would indulge herself in after a long day at the Academy. All the cosplay is missing is Caitlyn’s massive sniper rifle, but you can hardly fault Ehri for not putting that beast together. View this post on Instagram The most amazing thing about this cosplay is how quick the turnaround is on it. The skin has barely been on live servers for a day, and it was only revealed two weeks ago. Ehri shared the cosplay before the skin was even out! Getting together such an immaculate cosplay in such a short time deserves a high mark. “I’m happy with how this cosplay turned out. It was a very spontaneous decision, just in time for the skin release,” she said on Instagram. With other champions like Leona and Yone also in the latest Battle Academia drop, it’s only a matter of time until we see more cosplays from the skin line.

Baldur’s Gate 3 cosplayer slays as the villainous Orin the Red – Dexerto
Baldur’s Gate 3 cosplayer slays as the villainous Orin the Red Larian StudiosA Baldur’s Gate 3 fan shared an impressive Orin cosplay, capturing the breakout character’s gorgeous and ominous demeanor. Baldur’s Gate 3‘s deep and fascinating characters bring the Sword Coast to life with their stories and personalities. Outside that, though, they simply boast some excellent designs. Already, cosplayers are taking inspiration from Larian Studios’ massive RPG, with even some of the game’s voice actors getting in on the fun. However, one of the best looks so far is inspired by a character you may not expect: the villainous Orin the Red. Baldur’s Gate 3 cosplayer kills as Orin the Red Reddit user buffmiffy shared the stunning Orin look, which is made all the more impressive by the fact that it is their first time making a cosplay from scratch. buffmiffy credits YouTube tutorials with helping them with the project. The cosplay nails Orin’s iconic red outfit, along with her long blonde braid, solid white eyes, and various accessories. The makeup also brings to life the distinct skin details along the changeling’s face, arms, and chest. As for the dagger, buffmiffy says that was 3D printed with the stone “edited in,” as it was missing from the STL file. The cosplayer’s hard work certainly paid off, as the Baldur’s Gate 3 community seems quite impressed with the look’s strong attention to detail. “This is probably the coolest BG3 cosplay I’ve seen yet! And I’m shocked that this is your first time. You did amazing!” said one commenter. Another took it a step further, literally offering themself to Orin saying, “Yeah, just go ahead and take me as your sacrifice.” As for Baldur’s Gate 3, it was just nominated for eight Game Awards including Game of the Year. Between that and the highly-anticipated Xbox port still planned for this year, Larian’s RPG shows no signs of stopping – which is promising for those who hope for even more impressive fan works like this Orin cosplay. If you liked this, be sure to check out the rest of our Baldur’s Gate 3 coverage, which includes the latest news, guides, and much more.

Back 4 Blood dev ready to give Ridden a beating with amazing Holly cosplay – Dexerto
Back 4 Blood dev ready to give Ridden a beating with amazing Holly cosplay Turtle Rock StudiosThe Back 4 Blood scratched many people’s zombie-killing itch throughout it’s closed Beta window, and there’s been plenty of fanship built along the way – and you can bet Turtle Rock Studios is feeling the hype. Influencer Communications Manager at Turtle Rock, Alissa Barry-Toth got into character and stepped into the shoes of B4B character, Holly Forrester. The cosplay is one of so many that have popped off since the beta. Just like Left 4 Dead before it, Turtle Rock introduced unique characters to the fray with eight distinct personalities, backstories, gameplay, and more. There’s plenty of great characters and with the attention to detail to each one, there’s plenty of opportunity for fans to get creative in their recreations. Who is your #Back4Blood main? pic.twitter.com/RKDKt4PIHh — Alissa (@MissAlissaBarry) August 12, 2021 Devs are fans of their games too, and Barry-Toth showed just that after going all-out with her cosplay for the high-spirited Holly. In the game, the character is really enthusiastic about killing Ridden, the game’s ‘nom de undead’ for zombies. B4B did a really good job at making melee loadouts feel as good as its shooting counterpart. Holly comes equipped with a spiked baseball bat named Dottie and specializes in close-quarters to rush in and clear out the undead. Read more: Back 4 Blood Cards explained: how they work – She made an early impression on fans with her back-cap attitude and hack-n-slash gameplay that dreams are made of. Holly’s got a zombie-killing craze and the cosplayer nailed her recreation down to the heavily-used bat with a whole lot of nails. B4B hasn’t even officially released yet, but there’s already a ton of cosplayers who’ve already tried their hand at a Cleaner from the game. As a spiritual successor to L4D, there’s going to be a ton of fans intrigued by nostalgia of the last franchise while being excited for the new title’s take on the formula. As the fandom grows, expect there to be a lot more cosplays from the B4B community as we get closer to its October 12 release date.

Back 4 Blood cosplayer slays as battle ready Holly – Dexerto
Back 4 Blood cosplayer slays as battle ready Holly Cahlaflour, Turtle Rock StudiosBack 4 Blood’s Holly has become a fan favorite within the game’s community, but one cosplayer’s stunning cosplay brings her into the real world. Left 4 Dead’s spiritual sequel, Back 4 Blood, has zombie survivalists everywhere prepping for armageddon in order to efficiently slay the undead hordes. With eight playable characters each sporting their own unique perks, baseball bat queen Holly has stolen the hearts of B4B players. You can’t help but crack a smile at her unwavering positivity, with her quirky voice lines being some of the best in the game. Looking to embody the Cleaners’ resident cheerleader is California-based cosplayer Cahlaflour, who has brought the feisty redhead to life. Back 4 Blood Holly cosplay is ready to slay As an avid fan of horror games, Back 4 Blood’s release coincided perfectly with Cahla’s plans for the spooky season. “I’m really into horror and shooter games, so any game that combines those AND lets me play with friends makes me super excited,” she told Dexerto. “It is also a relatively big launch specifically in October when I do my horror/cosplay month on Twitch so I thought it worked perfectly!” Why did she opt for Holly, though? It turns out the two have quite a lot in common. “She’s a badass redhead… who doesn’t want to be that?” she asks. “Honestly though, I have a lot of fun cosplaying redheads because then I don’t have to wear super awful scratchy wigs that squeeze my brain. “I also really liked her voice lines when I played her in alpha/beta and fell in love with her spunkiness. She reminded me of myself a bit with her goofy lines she’d say. “Pew pew motherf**ker” while casually taking out Ridden probably being my favorite.” View this post on Instagram While Cahla notes that constructing the outfit for this cosplay “wasn’t too bad” in comparison to others like her Lady Dimitrescu, she recalls that creating Holly’s famous baseball bat (affectionally dubbed “Dottie”) was the most difficult part of the transformation. Read More: Is Back 4 Blood on Xbox Game Pass? – “The bat though… that’s my pride and joy,” she enthuses. “I had looked for a bat forever but kept striking out (ha). I finally stumbled into a Spirit Halloween that had a really basic foam bat that I purchased and then weathered the crap out of it to make it look beat up and battle-ready. “It’s mostly different acrylic paints to make the wood look darker, aged and like it has splotches of blood. The nails were made out of clay that I sculpted, painted to look metal, and then superglued to the bat in different places to make the nails look like they went through it.” The finished product looks pretty damn deadly, and we wouldn’t want to be the poor Ridden that finds itself on the other side of it. More #Back4Blood with the squad! Finishing the campaign!! #earlyaccessprovidedbyWB Live: https://t.co/2wSuLXOPnJ pic.twitter.com/joN4lF53ZQ — Cahlaflour (@Cahlaflour) October 8, 2021 While Cahla laments that “as of right now I don’t have anymore B4B cosplays in the works (even though Karlee is a dream)” she told Dexerto that “I have a TON of other cosplays I’m waiting to unveil this month and in the future. Cosplay is a huge passion of mine and I can’t wait to show you all what else is next!” While we’re crossing our fingers that a Cahla version of Karlee appears down the line, we can’t wait to see what this spunky redhead will pull out of her cosplay box next. All eyes are on her Twitch!

Awkward Apex Legends Wraith cosplay gets Respawn’s stamp of approval – Dexerto
Awkward Apex Legends Wraith cosplay gets Respawn’s stamp of approval Respawn Entertainment / Instagram, @nessphaceWraith may be Apex Legends’ most popular character for her edgy, troubled look and attitude, but Respawn Entertainment couldn’t help but approve when a cosplayer reinvented the interdimensional skirmisher’s personality while perfecting her signature look. [jwplayer MDxzN19r] Popularly shrouded in purple and black, with metal studs, raven black hair, and whited-out eyes, Wraith has a spooky, edgy aesthetic. The character’s lore and personality fit the look, too, as she was a prisoner who had experiments conducted upon her before waking up as an amnesiac with faint, mysterious voices in her head. While Wraith looks like the inspiration for many of Hot Topic and Dolls Kill’s darker collections, a Twitch streamer and cosplayer by the name of ‘NessPhace’ has subverted her personality while identically mimicking her look. The NessPhace Wraith is less “Interdimensional Skirmisher” and, instead, a little closer in attitude to the teenagers who frequent the aforementioned shops. Combining a seamless interpretation of Wraith’s aesthetic with the popular socially awkward memes of this year, the official Apex Legends Twitter account couldn’t help but respond and play along with NessPhace’s cosplay. so like….i hate myself @PlayApex pic.twitter.com/LgYHZgyeWU — NessPhace (@NessPhace) October 12, 2020 In Apex Legends, Wraith has brooding, troubled voice lines. She says stuff like, “There’s a thin line between life and death. You can find me there.” Or she’ll even deliver some dramatic, angsty quips like she just finished reading an existentialist Friedrich Nietzsche piece: “Death… like winter… is unavoidable.” But while NessPhace’s cosplay has her looking just like the fatalistic Void-walker, her personality is a little closer to a teenage scene kid shyly flirting: “What if we both took portal? JK…unless.” Pointer fingers directed inward, awkwardly rotating in her epic gamer chair, the NessPhace Wraith is one that wants to share portals to the Void together. That makes her cosplay a very stark departure from the infamous TTV Wraiths who prefer to drop by themselves and leave as soon as they’re killed. Aside from the community reaction, which has been overwhelmingly positive, to NessPhace’s new-look Wraith, even Respawn Entertainment got involved. The battle royale title’s official Twitter account responded to her tweet with a simple message: “Unless…” As of yet, the game’s writers have not confirmed whether or not this new attitude may make its way into the game. But it would be a pretty funny contrast from the somber, nihilistic Wraith we’re all so familiar with.

Awesome Overwatch cosplayer stuns fans with Magical Girl D.Va – Dexerto
Awesome Overwatch cosplayer stuns fans with Magical Girl D.Va Blizzard Entertainment/PurinD.Va is one of Overwatch’s most popular heroes, and a new cosplay of the K-Pop star manages to make a skin that doesn’t even exist in-game look as if it were already part of her skin lineup. As one of Overwatch’s original heroes, D.Va has been a popular pick for cosplayers since before the game even came out in 2016. At this point in the game’s history, all of her existing skins have already been made into IRL costumes multiple times over. To stand out from these iterations, cosplayer Purin decided to show off a skin that’s not actually in the game: “Magical Girl” D.Va. The idea for a D.Va outfit with that Sailor Moon anime girl look seemed to spawn out of the collective consciousness of the Overwatch community, shortly after Mercy’s Pink breast cancer awareness skin was released in 2018. Purin managed to bring the concept to life with an outfit that makes it look like Hana Song is the star of her own hit 90s anime. Magical Girl D.Va, as we mentioned before, looks like a crossover with Mercy’s Pink skin – but there’s still enough blue in there to resemble her original bodysuit. In Overwatch’s (very limited) lore, D.Va is a Mecha pilot for the South Korean military, who also moonlights as a K-Pop star and StarCraft pro. We don’t know if D.Va herself is a huge anime fan based on the (very limited) Overwatch lore we have available, but her life as a giant robot-piloting singer and pro gamer means it’s not too far of a stretch. The Venn diagram of D.Va players and Japanese animation enthusiasts is basically a circle anyways, so more anime-themed skins like Purin’s “Magical Girl” would surely be a hit. D.Va may not have gotten a new skin for the 2020 Archives event, which wraps up April 2, but there’s still Overwatch’s Anniversary celebration coming up, and a “Magical Girl” skin would fit right in with the event’s usual sort of cosmetics.

Awesome K/DA cosplay captures spirit of League of Legend’s K-pop group – Dexerto
Awesome K/DA cosplay captures spirit of League of Legend’s K-pop group An awesome group cosplay of League of Legends K-pop group K/DA has caught the imagination of the game’s community, bringing the four champions to life in spectacular fashion. K/DA first appeared in the build-up to the 2018 League of Legends World Championships and became an immediate sensation, drawing in millions of views on YouTube and setting social media alight with buzz. While the group has been fairly quiet since their breakout year, that hasn’t stopped fans of the MOBA from showing off awesome costumes based on the group, with cosplayers Ten, Aline, Nikole, and Lunarite appearing on Reddit in near-perfect outfits. Everything about the cosplay has been meticulously designed, with small details like the Ahri’s armbands and Akali’s K/DA hat present in the album posted on Reddit by Ten Ketsu. The foursome’s renditions of Evelynn and Kai’Sa are equally impressive and together capture the K-pop feel that Riot hoped to created when they unleashed the musical sensations on the world back in 2018. Even the location of the photoshoot is perfect, with the girls surrounded by mirrors and colorful light tubes, making the images look like they were lifted straight from K/DA’s next blockbuster music video. K/DA is not the only musical group born out of League of Legends, with heavy-metal rockers Pentakill the first band created by Riot Games for the game, while True Damage are a hip-hop group that appeared in the build-up to Worlds 2019. The number of music groups connect to LoL appears to be growing every year, and with awesome cosplays like this one, the fandom is showing no sign of slowing down or asking Riot Games to stop creating them.

Awesome Demon Slayer cosplayer breathes life into Kanao Tsuyuri – Dexerto
Awesome Demon Slayer cosplayer breathes life into Kanao Tsuyuri Instagram: kyumibuns / UfotableA Demon Slayer fan has created an incredible version of one of the anime’s most interesting characters, showing off her take on Kanao Tsuyuri that looks like it was lifted straight from the show and brought into reality. Demon Slayer has quickly become one of the most popular animes in the world since it debuted in early 2019. It follow the story of Tanjirō Kamado, a young man who becomes a demon slayer to avenge the death of his family who are slain by the creatures, and turned his sister Nezuko into one of their kind. Joining the demon slayers, Kamado meets a host of fellow warriors and combatants determined to rid the world of these demons. These include the likes of Kane and Sinobu Kocho, two of the most powerful slayers in the world, and their shy adopted sister Kanao Tsuyuri. Fans of Demon Slayer will recognize the character for her constant indecisiveness, with her shy personality leading her to become unable to make decisions by herself, and looking to others for guidance when she didn’t know what to do. To try and help the 16-year-old make decisions, Kanae give her a coin to flip in times where she was uncertain, which has quickly become the characters trademark, flipping the coin and allowing the universe to decide her next move. The Demon Slayer wears the characteristic robes that define those who pursue the evil creatures, originally wearing a purple version of the dress before switching to the normal black, sporting her black hair tied into a ponytail, with a straight fringe and two strands sweeping down her cheeks to her chin. Cosplayer ‘kyumibuns’ captured the character perfectly, even wearing the same butterfly hairpin that Kanao’s sister Kanae used to wear in her hair. The same white cloak is triple knotted around her shoulders, while she even clasps the character’s trademark pink and white sword in the left hand. No Tsuyuri cosplay would be complete without her trademark coin though, which kyumi holds aloft in her right hand. View this post on Instagram ? Breath of Flower 花の呼吸 ? “I flip this to decide what I haven’t been ordered to do” ~ — I always struggled with making decisions and I wish it was as simple as flipping a coin. The first season may have come to an end, but there is certainly more of Tanjirō Kamado’s story to come, with a sequel film announced for later this year.

Award-winning League of Legends Rengar cosplay breaks the internet – Dexerto
Award-winning League of Legends Rengar cosplay breaks the internet One of the most accurate League of Legends cosplays ever seen has scooped an award and gone viral. If you thought Rengar looked good in-game, the character might look even better in real life. There are a number of video game franchises that have built up cult followings over the years, whether it be Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch, Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends of late or many others, but the League of Legends community might well boast the most creative fans. Those who would question that only have to look as far as Vegacosplay-Saud’s cosplay, posted to Reddit on December 8. One of a kind cosplays aren’t too hard to come by as everybody who creates an outfit based on a video game, TV franchise, or something else from popular culture will have their own spin on the characters they wish to portray. However, when you come across one that is truly outstanding, they do tend to garner tremendous recognition on the internet and the same goes for this version of Rengar – which has received over 4,000 upvotes in the cosplay subreddit at the time of writing. Rengar, for those who aren’t too familiar with LoL, is a character that was first introduced to the game’s online community in 2012 and is an assassin/fighter. Clearly, with this amazing outfit seen below, things couldn’t have been made much more accurately in this insane cosplay. Some of its most striking features include the accuracy of the mane and fur, which can even be seen on the feet, adding an extra level of detail. The base was actually 3D printed as well, the cosplayer confirmed. After reading through a number of positive comments in the thread, its creator VegaCosplay revealed that they had since been granted a major award for completing the look so accurately. They posted: “I actually won the biggest prize in cosplay history last night in League of Legends Arabia cosplay contest so the effort is dead worth it, and thanks a lot for the kind words.” There was $200,000 of prize money up for grabs at the event for cosplayers, with Nexus Arabia taking place between December 5-7.
