  • YouTuber reveals strangest car mods from Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals strangest car mods from Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 effspot, YouTubeTokyo Auto Salon was jam-packed with all sorts of different booths this year, as tons of the craziest modified and tuned cars were set up people to admire. Luckily, Gordon ‘effspot’ Cheng was on the scene to capture the absolute best of the weird. Effspot often travels around the world to create content surrounding different car collections, rallies, and automotive events, and on January 22 he revealed findings from his latest trip to Japan. He has around 525,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 170,000 followers on Instagram, at the time of writing. Another Toyota he spotted had some of the biggest exhaust pipes in the whole venue, which he had to question for a second. “What do you even say to these, guys? Are those real? As you can tell, I’m a little shell shocked here as to what is happening. I think they managed to put every imaginable exhaust model by Sense Brand on this particular car,” he said, before counting that it had 12 different exhaust ports on it. A number of other never-before-seen vehicle models and designs were shown off, too. In the comments section of the video, the YouTuber asked whether or not his viewers would like to see him return to Tokyo for next year’s Auto Salon as well and the question was met with resounding approval from fans. So, we can probably expect to see effspot go back to Japan – along with many other product expos around the world – in the next year.

  • YouTuber reveals “scary” cost of owning a 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals “scary” cost of owning a 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR Buying a brand new Range Rover Sport SVR might sound like a dream scenario for some people, but after hearing YouTuber Archie Hamilton talk about the eyebrow-raising cost of actually having one, you might think twice. The popular YouTuber, who has over 275,000 subscribers on his channel, can often be seen reviewing some of the hottest vehicles on the market today. On January 5, it was Jaguar Land Rover’s impressive model that took center stage in his video. With an impressive five-litre V8 petrol engine (575PS), a max speed of 162 mph, and an average 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds, this luxury SUV is at the top of many motor junkie wish lists. However, Archie Hamilton Racing has revealed just how much it will set people back in today’s market and it might scare some people off. The vehicle itself is priced from £101,810, according to the official Land Rover website, but that’s its sticker price excluding any further accessories that buyers may wish to add to it. Archie Hamilton Racing reveals in his video, and many before it, that he selected all of those customization options when he bought it, but how much does it cost to own one? “I put in nine grand for finance and I pay £900 per month for that car,” Archie said, before guest Tony stepped in with a breakdown of the figures. “Let’s tell the viewers, you (Archie) will get your nine grand back because of how you have come in and out of the car, but the general public probably wouldn’t,” Tony explained. Timestamp in the video below at 7:07. “That would be the depreciation of the car. So, if you had it a couple of years, you would probably get some of the nine grand back because they even themselves back out, but if you changed it in a year, you would probably lose your nine grand and all your payments, so the car has cost you £20,000 for the year.” Car owners will know, however, that the price of the car is just one part of the puzzle – there’s fuel, insurance, road tax, and servicing to also account for. Running costs will inevitably boost the price up even further than the £20,000 mentioned, which they both agreed was a solid price for a vehicle like this. Archie continued: “Let’s talk about the other thing, fuel. It does cost around about £100 to fuel it up,” he said, which works out at £400 extra per month if you only fill it up once every seven days. “So, £900 (car) then turns into £1,300.” After a brief discussion, they agreed that insurance would be around £2,000 and £3,000 per year for those over 25 years of age. Those below that age would pay approximately £3,000 to £5,000, they said. With an annual service on top, which they agreed would be between £750 and £1,000 to do, as well as road tax and a new set of tires, this car will approximately set members of the general public back a whopping £30,000. So, if you’re thinking about buying the Range Rover Sport SVR in 2020, that’s around about how much it’s going to cost you according to Archie Hamilton Racing. Other options discussed in the video are financing and leasing, which are also plausible routes, but it’ll cost a pretty penny either way.

  • YouTuber reveals “harsh reality” of owning insane supercar collection – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals “harsh reality” of owning insane supercar collection YouTube: TheStradmanTheStradman’s crazy car collection is the envy of any petrolhead, but it turns out there’s a darker side to supercar ownership. In his November 24 video, he reveals just how much he pays for his cars, as well as the upkeep on his fleet, which totals to a staggering amount of money. From sleeping in his Audi TT to owning a Bugatti Veyron, it’s fair to say YouTuber James ‘TheStradman’ has had an incredible rise to ‘the top’ of his career. But, owning numerous supercars (and one hypercar) doesn’t come cheap, as he has now revealed. Right from the first video of his Bugatti Veyron ownership series, he has said he wants to be as ‘open and transparent’ as possible with viewers. Given the insane costs of owning a hypercar, James has certainly delivered on his promise, even going as far as breaking down an incredible $30,000 service bill for his subscribers. TheStradman reveals insane cost of supercar ownership Straight away in the video, Stradman gets to the question on everyone’s lips: How much does the Bugatti Veyron cost to own? Well, it turns out that per month, the car costs him $4,765, and he cannot miss a single payment. This is a lot of money, but given that his housemate Burlacher – who has far fewer followers – revealed he makes nearly $40k/year on YouTube, we imagine TheStradman is making enough to cover the payments, and then some. With many viewers expecting that TheStradman paid north of $1m for his Veyron, he reveals that the overall price was in fact far less. In total, he paid only $880,000 for the Veyron, which he said will come as “no surprise” for his viewers to learn that it is financed. Perhaps even more shocking is the amount that he put down – a total of $550,000. We know that he’s sold a lot of cars recently, but that’s still an incredibly large down payment for a car, even if it is a Veyron! James also admits that had he paid for the car outright, he would’ve been “financially wrecked” which is why he put it on finance. While the Bugatti is sensibly financed, TheStradman revealed that he is the complete and outright owner of both his Lamborghini Aventadors, having paid off their finance agreements. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before the Veyron is also paid off. With his continued success and impressive viewing figures, hopefully, for him, it will be sooner rather than later.

  • YouTuber rents highest mileage Lamborghini Huracan in the world – Dexerto

YouTuber rents highest mileage Lamborghini Huracan in the world Adam Swords – YouTubeYouTuber Adam Swords rented a Lamborghini Huracan that was pushing 200,000 miles, giving it the title of having the most mileage of any car of its type in the world. Luxury sports cars like Lamborghinis aren’t traditionally used to drive long-distances, which is why the mileage on this car is so eye-popping. The YouTuber found himself in Las Vegas looking to pick up a supercar and was given a few different options, but when it was explained to him that this Huracan has the most miles on it in the world, he was instantly intrigued. Adam, who knows all about nice cars and the finer things in life thanks to his camera work on ProducerMichael’s YouTube channel, learned the car was sitting at just over 185,000 miles and was shocked to hear that news. “185,000,” he repeated. “What? How old is it? What year is it?” The employee said it’s from 2015, making it one of the oldest Huracans on the market. (Quotes begin at 2:28) When given the choice between a Slingshot, the Lamborghini, and a Jeep, he had no choice but to go with the Huracan. Adam got all of the paperwork done and instantly found himself excited to check out what the car had to offer. After taking a trip to the Hoover Dam in Nevada, on the drive back he explained that the car still performs like a dream. “It drives like a new car,” he began. “I mean, seriously.” He mentions the perfect gear shift, exhaust sounding amazing, and the interior design still looking great, despite it being so old and a rental. He notes that since it’s a rental, people don’t treat it as much as their pride and joy, which makes the condition it’s in very impressive. Since it’s a rental, that could definitely explain the exorbitant amount of miles that have been put on it in such a short amount of time. Adam mentions that with most supercars, you have to handle and treat them with care, but this doesn’t seem to be the issue with this Huracan as it’s still in excellent shape. Of course, that could just be the rental company working their magic. Next time you find yourself in Las Vegas, it might be worth checking out how many miles this vehicle has racked up.

Based upon an all-new Aluminium architecture; The 2021 Rolls Royce Ghost has been designed from the ground-up to create the most luxurious, relaxing, and opulent travel experience – second only to its stablemate the Phantom. As one of the first to explore Rolls Royce’s latest model, MrJWW (James Walker) was keen to discuss the details of the “distilled serenity, luxury, and tranquility” found in the all-new Ghost. Rolls Royce is keen to make this their most acoustically-sensitive vehicle yet, even going to the lengths of “acoustically treating” the driveshaft to ensure minimal vibration and intrusion. Small features such as soft-close doors, open-pore wood, and a dual-setting champagne cooler contribute to the luxurious experience of the Ghost, with JWW describing it as “The purest Rolls Royce I’ve ever sat in”. With acoustics being a major part of the Ghost’s design, Rolls Royce managed to fit over 100kg of sound deadening to the car, along with double glazing and a bespoke sound system. The end result is designed to amplify the quality of the driver or passenger’s music and improve the overall ambiance. Given the fact that Rolls Royce is actually proud of the Ghost’s weight, it may be surprising that they have also built the car with driving dynamics in mind. With its impressive acoustic qualities, dynamic on-road driving experience, and “next level artisan craftsmanship” the all-new Rolls Royce Ghost looks set to become a new favorite for entrepreneurs, musicians, and the super-rich all over the world.

YouTuber Jesser reveals his new custom Audi R8 Spyder YouTube: Jesser2Hype member and YouTuber Jesser has given fans a look at his new car, showing off his new Audi R8 Spyder worth $160,000. 2Hype is a YouTube collective that lives in a massive house in the Los Angeles area, producing content to over 10 million combined subscribers across their eight channels. Jesser himself boasts 2.61 million on his own channel, with his content based around basketball and his love of the sport, mixed with challenge videos featuring his 2Hype cohorts. On January 15, the American unveiled his latest purchase, an Audi R8 Spyder, showing off the vehicle to his viewers, thanking them for his support and explaining how the incredible piece of German engineering was his “dream car.” Of course, Jesser was forced to admit that his car had already been revealed by his housemates in other videos where they went into the garage, but still wanted to do his own personal reveal as a way to thank his audience for their support over the years, telling them that he wouldn’t have been able to purchase without their help before calling it his “favorite car ever.” The YouTuber’s R8 Spyder is unlike any other on the market though, sporting an incredible chrome blue wrap which is so shiny you can see every reflection in it, and the YouTuber made sure to pay attention to the details, including the same color on the trim of the wheels, the brake calipers, and even altering the R8 logo on the rear of the car to make sure everything matched. The vehicle also comes with a convertible roof, which can be opened or closed while driving up to 30 miles-per-hour, although Jesser admitted he was terrified to try it the first time he was driving around sunny L.A. in his brand new motor. The Audi R8 Spyder is no slouch either, fitted with a v10 engine that roars when Jesser starts the engine, producing over 400 brake horsepower, and doing 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. With a top speed of 203.8mph, this car has the power to match its incredible looks, and with Jesser calling the vehicle the car of his dreams, it’s no surprise that he was excited to show it to his audience.

  • YouTuber Houston Crosta reveals why the $2.6m Pagani Huayra is “junk” – Dexerto

YouTuber Houston Crosta reveals why the $2.6m Pagani Huayra is “junk” YouTube: Royalty Exotic CarsFor a man that owns a fleet of exotic cars, Houston Crosta has always wanted to drive a Pagani Huayra. Randy from Savage Garage gave him the opportunity, but the experience didn’t quite live up to Crosta’s expectations. There’s an age-old saying “don’t meet your heroes” as they never quite live up to expectations. It would appear that the same rings true for cars, as YouTuber Houston Crosta found out the hard way. In Royalty Exotic Cars’ September 27 video, Crosta finally had a chance to drive his “dream car” – The Pagani Huayra. Worth around $2.6-$2.8m, the Huayra belongs to fellow YouTuber Randy of Savage Garage. Admitting semi-seriously that he would’ve paid Randy $20k to drive the Huayra, Crosta takes the keys for the car to make his “dreams come true.” From the word go, there are some issues – he can’t figure out how to start the overly-complex Pagani. Holding on for dear life Once on the move though, the ‘dream’ continues to crumble for Houston. “All you can hear is turbos” Crosta explains while on the interstate, stating that they “need to straight pipe it… it could be way louder!” The second issue he has is that, in no uncertain terms, he is “holding on for dear life!” The Huayra is so visceral, so fast and so bulky that it proves to be a handful to drive, even for someone experienced like Crosta. Visibility is also an issue, due to the fender-mounted mirrors, which he says would make it near-impossible to daily-drive a car such as the Pagani. “It’s hard to be confident” The complexity of the interior is also an issue, with the window switches being “in the wrong place.” Not only that, but the centre console design makes it difficult to adjust anything such as the A/C while driving. Once back in his Veyron, Crosta admits he’d “have the Veyron 10 times over the Huayra” and that he was “scared” to drive the Pagani. He wishes the Pagani had “luxury” in it and complained about how rough the ride quality was. It was so bad, he explains it was “hard to be confident” behind the wheel. It looks like Crosta will be sticking with the Veyron for now, and has probably learned never to drive his dream car.

  • YouTuber explains why you should buy a 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance – Dexerto

YouTuber explains why you should buy a 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance Buying a car can be daunting but YouTuber EvgeniTalks has a piece of advice for anyone looking to purchase a new motor in 2020 – he reckons you should invest in the 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance, and here’s why. EvgeniTalks is an up and coming online reviewer who regularly showcases new cars on his YouTube channel, and he rates the 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance highly. The impressive sedan is just one installment of the manufacturer’s electric, eco-friendly range and is priced at $56,990 – when purchased directly from Tesla. While they were first put into production in mid-2017, the stylish automobile has been given a refresh for the new year. The price of the latest Model 3, in general, depends on the spec of the vehicle you have in mind, but it’s worth noting that it’s available in both rear-wheel and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The Tesla Model 3 Performance reviewed by EvgeniTalks, though, is top of the range. 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance review The YouTuber posted a comprehensive video on December 30, breaking down a number of different reasons as to why people should be looking at the Performance model – which is one of the hottest selling set of wheels on the market. As we mentioned earlier, this is a revamped version of the Model 3, and EvgeniTalks was super impressed by the changes. He said: “I think they’re really starting to become higher quality, as the fit and finish in this car is actually way better than my previous Model 3. I had a dual-motor, non Performance car before. “It’s getting a lot better, even the doors when you open and close them, they don’t make that rattle like they do in the old one. That’s crazy.” He didn’t stop there, either, delving into some more of the specifics for both the interior and exterior of the sedan. So, let’s take a look at the best bits. https://youtu.be/_JRfWdECJN0 Tesla Model 3 Performance – Best bits So, there are a few interesting facts about the Tesla Model 3 Performance model. The car itself can travel from 0-60mph in an impressive 3.2 seconds, with a cracking 473bhp. “A three-second to 60 in a car that cost $56,990 is very impressive to me,” the reviewer stated, before describing the power of the engine as “monstrous”. Not a bad impression for a car at this price point. Plus, cool features in the ‘Performance’ package includes a carbon fiber spoiler, red brake calipers, bigger brakes, as well as sport and track mode. Tesla also predicts, according to their website’s price calculator, that buyers will save themselves $6,300 due to not only gas savings but potential incentives for driving a carbon-neutral vehicle as well. So, it might not be as expensive as the initial price looked after all, and certainly nowhere near as outlandish as Tesla’s upcoming Cybertruck.

  • YouTuber explains why it now costs more than ever to finance a supercar – Dexerto

YouTuber explains why it now costs more than ever to finance a supercar YouTube: SOL – Supercars Of LondonFinancing a large purchase such as a new car, supercar or exotic vehicle is a fantastic way to get the car you want sooner, so long as it’s done correctly. In recent years finance costs have gone up though, and Supercars of London has explained why. Unfortunately with everything going on this year, supercar ownership costs have been impacted thanks to the changes in the financial sector. Banks are now being more conservative with their loaning, and these costs have been passed on to those financing their latest purchases. But just why exactly are costs going up for people financing their cars in particular? In his September 8 video, YouTuber Supercars of London (Paul Wallace) broke down this change in financing tactics for his subscribers to explain the situation a little better. In essence, banks are now being more cautious about the potential future values of supercars in particular, though it does appear to be affecting more ‘everyday’ cars too. Lenders are taking a ‘cautious’ approach This means that whereas a bank would’ve previously put the residual value of a supercar at $150,000 they may now take a cautious approach and value it lower. Archie Hamilton says lenders are valuing cars “up to 20, 30 percent less” than their typical valuations. For Paul, this meant that a typical quote for a potential purchaser on his Murcielago was coming out “around £450 per month more [than before] even with a bigger deposit.” By predicting that a car will be worth a lower value than before at the end of your finance agreement, finance payments work out at more per month, as the cost of the finance agreement takes into account this lower residual value. Clip starts at 5:14 It could benefit consumers “in the long run” Paul used a Lamborghini Aventador in the video as an example. “This Aventador is up for £219k ($285k) before [everything that’s happened this year] the lenders might’ve valued it in four years at £150k, now lenders are saying it’ll be worth £120k, so you’re paying £30k more on finance.” This means that monthly payments will be higher, but it could actually benefit those taking out finance agreements in the long run, a theory that Paul agrees with, saying it could be “better for the consumer in the long run.” Since the bank or lender is valuing your car lower, at the end of the agreement (usually around 4 years) the ‘balloon’ payment at the end to purchase the car will be lower. Archie actually sums up Paul’s speech perfectly: “So what you’re saying, its a lot harder to jump into supercars than it was before” to which Paul agreed, saying he had “hit the nail on the head.”

  • YouTuber explains why he’s selling his Range Rover Sport SVR – Dexerto

YouTuber explains why he’s selling his Range Rover Sport SVR Archie Hamilton Racing – YouTubePopular YouTuber Archie Hamilton has explained why he’s selling his “dream car” in the form of the Range Rover Sport SVR and it’s not because of the “scary” cost he’s mentioned before. The YouTuber and racing driver, who has been behind the wheel of some of the most highly sought after cars, took some time to explain the “scary” cost of keeping the Range Rover Sport SVR on the road back on January 5. He revealed that he dropped £9,000 in finance to make the purchase happen before noting that just to own it costs £900 a month – with an additional £400 a month in fuel costs. However, the vehicle is no longer going to be a burden to him as he’s explained his reasons for selling it off. During his aptly titled ‘Why I’m selling my Range Rover SVR’ video, the YouTuber revealed that ever since he made the purchase and started creating content around his “dream car,” his fans haven’t been wholly receptive. “It’s easy to say ignore that [the response] but I didn’t ignore that because I want my followers to enjoy my cars as much as I do,” the YouTuber said. “I wouldn’t be able to do this everyone who watches my videos and I want them to love the car I drive and it was adamant from day one that people didn’t want the Range Rover Sport SVR.” After explaining that he reads all the comments, with a lot of the top ones being negative words like “boring,” Hamilton further noted that it had “put a dampener” on owning the car, even though he’s not the victim because he’s still driving a “seriously nice” set of wheels. The YouTuber also said that because he’s in the business of making unique content, he got the feeling that the car wasn’t “unique enough” while rubbishing any claims that he’s selling it because he can’t afford the eye-watering costs and explaining that it’s all about making the fans happy. What he has got lined up next, though, remains a bit of a secret as Archie teased that he has got cars coming in the next few months that are rather exciting.

  • YouTuber confronts man ‘vandalizing’ his $3m Bugatti Veyron – Dexerto

YouTuber confronts man ‘vandalizing’ his $3m Bugatti Veyron YouTube: Royalty Exotic CarsDespite a number of high-profile YouTubers speaking out about vandalism to their supercars, it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Unfortunately, Houston Crosta found this out the hard way with his Bugatti Veyron. As the owner of rental company , Houston Crosta is unfortunately all-too-familiar with people not treating his property with respect. With cars regularly coming back damaged or in a poor state, it’s every petrolhead’s worst nightmare come true. Sharing details of one particular customer that destroyed a Dodge Hellcat in his September 20 video, Houston says that this driver was even brave enough to return the car as if nothing untoward had happened. While doing donuts in the Hellcat, the driver caused the tire to expand outwards due to insane pressure, pushing the rear bumper and quarter panel outwards. Not only that, but they also scratched down the entire rear ¾ of the car due to reckless driving. During his monologue direct to the camera Houston spots a careless passer-by potentially vandalising his $3m Mansory Bugatti Veyron. Given that he was describing to his viewers how careless people were with his cars, the situation was ironically perfectly timed. Panning the camera up to show the situation, a group of people had congregated around Houston’s customised Bugatti Veyron hypercar. This in itself wasn’t the issue, but one of the bystanders took it upon himself to pose for a photograph sat on the carbon fiber hood of the Veyron. Confronting the mindless individual, the guy realizes that he’s in the wrong and hops off the hood before Crosta gets to him. Remaining impressively calm, Crosta says “What the F*** man. This is a $3m car. This hood is $400,000. Nobody [referring to the crowd] has enough money to pay that. It’s very disrespectful, get the f*** off the car!” The relevant section begins at the 3:10 mark below. While the line “nobody has enough money to pay that” may seem snobbish, commenters were quick to back and even praise Houston’s reactions. Many said that they would react far worse or that Houston was too kind, though with a business reputation to keep up, it was likely a case of striking a balance between authority and restraint for him in the moment.

YouTuber confronts “crazy” thief who stole his $75,000 Corvette Royalty Exotic Cars – YouTubeYouTuber Royalty Exotic Cars rented out their red Corvette which was never returned, so they took matters into their own hands to go and retrieve it. The YouTuber lent out his Corvette which was not returned on time, so he took a look at its GPS, found out where it was, and went to go tow it back to the compound. Royalty explained that this was actually nothing new for him as before he became a YouTuber, he actually repossessed cars for a living. The group managed to locate the car in a Walmart parking lot where they discovered there had been significant damage down to the front bumper, with many visual scuffs, including a broken windshield. Upon arrival, they noticed the man who had the car walking around and he started to plead with them to not take the car and he wanted to get his stuff out of it first. Eventually, the encounter turned hostile and the man refused to give up the keys to the Corvette. Royalty ended up letting them keep the keys to the car and went ahead with towing it. At that point, the thief hopped into the tow truck and wouldn’t get out until he was given a ride home. With no other options available, the YouTubers obliged and had an incredibly awkward ride home.back to his house. At one point during the drive to his abode, the man began to challenge people to fights. “Homeboy, you ain’t as hard as you think, right,” he said to Anthony. “I wish you would get out of the whip and fight me one-one right now.” (Quote begins at 12:22) Once they got to his house, they dropped him off and quickly sped away, leaving both him and this entire situation in the rear-view mirror. They’ll definitely have to think twice in the future about who they rent their cars to. All things considered, this situation could have gone a lot worse than it actually did, so Royalty Exotic Cars can be thankful for that.

  • YouTuber Archie Hamilton reveals crazy cost of his new Porsche Taycan – Dexerto

YouTuber Archie Hamilton reveals crazy cost of his new Porsche Taycan YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingWith Porsche having revealed the 4S model of their all-new ‘Taycan’ electric car, it was only a matter of time before it fell into the hands of YouTubers. Archie Hamilton has now revealed his spec, with a final purchase price of over £100,000 ($130,000). The Taycan has been hailed as a revolution in electric sports car technology, with many going as far as calling it the first mainstream electric supercar. Available in 3 levels of trim, the 4S is the ‘base’ model with prices starting at £83, 367 ($109, 074). While that may seem like a steep price, it’s even more surprising when you realize that Archie added over £23,000 ($30k) of options to get his final specification. Porsche are well known for making their money from options, but to spend that much money on extras alone is mind-blowing. Inspired by Porsche’s ‘Mission E’ concept When considering the spec for his new Taycan, Archie was quick to say that it is important for him to consider residual and resale values. With this in mind, he has still gone for a very bold specification, opting for the gorgeous £1,683 ($2,202) Carmine Red special edition paint. Archie also spoke a lot about the ‘Mission E’ spec influencing his car, with YouTuber TGE calling it “very cool”. ‘Mission E’ was the official name for the concept car of the Taycan when it was revealed in 2015, which featured an all-white exterior with specially-designed wheels with white inserts. Opting for these wheels on production Taycans is a popular option, with many other owners having done the same. Alongside the ‘Mission E’ wheels, he also specified LED Matrix lights, folding mirrors, and ‘Sport Design’ side skirts, bringing the cost of exterior options to £5,538 ($7,245). Clip starts at 4:12 Inside is where the most money was spent, with options totaling up to a whopping £6,420 ($8,410). Highlights of his specification are the ‘comfort’ seats, panoramic glass roof, and the Porsche ‘Chrono package’, which adds the iconic clock in the center of the dash. With the Taycan already having breathtaking performance as standard, there isn’t much in the way of performance options. Archie did opt for the ‘Performance battery plus’ which extends the range and ups the power slightly, though he did also deem it “essential” for resale values. The total cost of Archie’s Porsche Taycan 4S All told, he spent a total of £23,210 ($30,367) on options according to his spec shown in the video, with the final purchase price being a whopping £106,577 ($139,443). Archie is likely to be the first of many YouTubers to start buying performance EVs, so it will be interesting to see who makes the jump next.

  • YouTuber Archie Hamilton explains why he’s bought a Mercedes-AMG A45S – Dexerto

YouTuber Archie Hamilton explains why he’s bought a Mercedes-AMG A45S Archie Hamilton Racing – YouTubeYouTuber Archie Hamilton is an avid car collector and he just added another vehicle to his collection – the Mercedes-AMG A45S. Picking out a new car is always stressful, even for the average consumer, but the aficionados know exactly what they’re looking for, and it can make the process even harder. Things like gas mileage, how many doors it has, storage space, and front-wheel or rear-wheel drive are all things that can factor into a purchase. However, some buyers are looking for horsepower, top speed, acceleration, and even how the interior design looks. Hamilton has had his eyes on the AMG A45S for a long time now, and he finally pulled the trigger and picked one up. In his 15 minute video on February 8, the popular YouTuber explained why he decided to go with the car, and a lot of it came down to the number of details it offered. “I wanted something that had some interesting details on it,” he said referring to the yellow trim on the seats. “We’ve got yellow stitching and yellow down the seats and I think that is perfect.” He then moved onto the other features of the car, such as the steering wheel. “You can see I have an Alcantara steering wheel,” he explained. “How flipping nice is that wheel?” (Quotes begin at 8:34) It’s clear Hamilton is a big fan of the little things a vehicle can offer but is also a fan of their speed as well, mentioning it can go zero to 60 in 3.9 seconds. In a future video, he said he’ll be going over the stats and specs of the car in full detail. He does a lot of research to make sure he’s getting exactly what he wants. With the AMG A45S now in his possession, it’s anyone’s guess as to what he’ll be going for next. We’ll likely be seeing a lot of videos featuring this new car in the future, so it might be a while until we see something new purchased.

  • YouTuber Archie Hamilton explains how he managed to buy 4 supercars – Dexerto

YouTuber Archie Hamilton explains how he managed to buy 4 supercars YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingPopular car YouTuber Archie Hamilton Racing has explained just how he has been able to afford to own a number of supercars without striking it rich by winning the lottery or uncovering oil. Like many car YouTubers, Archie Hamilton has been able to impress fans with his car collection. Be it an Audi R8 or the Range Rover SVR sport – which he ended up selling anyway because his viewers weren’t all that keen on it – he’s gotten behind the wheel of some impressive vehicles. While YouTube can be a pretty nice way to make money, he hasn’t exactly gained subscribers or viewing numbers like PewDiePie that would probably allow him to purchase the majority of his dream cars. However, Archie has explained just how he has been able to afford owning four supercars in his YouTube career. In his explanation video, the YouTuber teamed up with Tim from Magnitude Finance company to – unsurprisingly – talk about how he has financed his cars in the past, which has allowed him to own a wide variety. While the complexities of financing a car could seem pretty boring, the conversation between the pair kept things pretty interesting – with them noting that Archie has been able to get out of deals like the SVR by putting down a bigger deposit than perhaps the cheapest deal around. “I’ve had all these cars and I’ve just got in and out of them safely and I want to get that across because without that, I wouldn’t have been able to drive not even one of them – and that is what is so insane,” he said. “I wouldn’t have been able to buy a Lamborghini, buy a Corvette, all my dream cars. The only reason I’ve been able to buy them is because of finance because I don’t personally have that money in the bank.” Though, like anything involving a contract, there are risks for getting out early – which the YouTuber has done on occasion. As for a rough estimate in penalties, Archie’s have come out between £50,000 and £70,000 – yet that gets paid off over time. Of course, the method of financing doesn’t quite work for everyone, as Archie himself said that he’s been a “lucky boy” with it all. As he noted himself, that sort of penalty money could easily pay for a brand-new car or be a deposit for something quite special but for whatever he has lined up next, fans will just have to keep their eyes peeled.

  • YouTuber Airrack abandons friend in the desert during “death race” – Dexerto

YouTuber Airrack abandons friend in the desert during “death race” YouTube: AirrackMoving house can often be a boring, lengthy process that drags on for far too long. For YouTuber Airrack and co-star Mack moving across the country to Los Angeles, they decided to spice things up a little by turning their journey into a no-rules “death race” across America. Having loaded up his life into the truck, rented a U-Haul trailer and loaded up his trademark Smart Car, Airrack (real name Eric) and Mack set off to race across the country with Los Angeles as their final destination. Not everything went according to plan, though. Having spent over 24 hours on the road and after passing each other numerous times (including some sneaky tactics on Macks behalf) the pair neared the end of their journey and crossed into the state of Arizona. Death Valley disaster Driving through Arizona means passing through Death Valley. A 7,800 km area of desert, Death Valley is one of the hottest places on earth, reaching temperatures up to 46 degrees celcius during the height of summer. Eric fills up at the gas station in preparation to cross the desert but elects not to tell Mack that it is, in fact, the last gas station for 116 miles in the hope that he will be able to overtake him. Mack then carries on without stopping, blissfully unaware of the lack of gas stations in the middle of death valley. Eventually, disaster strikes for Mack. Having realized that there are no gas stations anywhere nearby, his car coughs and splutters, with it eventually cutting out in the middle of the highway due to running out of fuel. Did Airrack take it too far? With Mack stranded on the side of the road, Eric does eventually stop to tell his co-star that there is a gas station not too far from his location. In a Top Gear-esque twist, Eric then cheerfully abandons Mack, leaving him to hitchhike to the next gas station. Mack calls Airrack on Facetime to discuss options, eventually telling him that he was “psychopathic” by not telling him about the lack of gas stations and leaving him on the side of the road. Thankfully Mack did manage to get to the gas station, though a two hour walk to get there in the Death Valley heat can’t have been a pleasant experience. Eventually. the pair do make it safely to their new house which they are sharing with a number of other “well known” YouTubers, with Mack literally collapsing out of his car upon arrival. While no roommates names have been confirmed yet, Eric said we will “definitely know who they are” which will no doubt fuel the rumour mill rather nicely, and should help him on his goal to reaching one million subscribers by the end of the year.

  • YouTube travel vlogger finds a Ferrari car vending machine – Dexerto

YouTube travel vlogger finds a Ferrari car vending machine Instagram: @iamlivingbobby / PixabayYouTube travel vlogger Bobby ‘LivingBobby’ Briskey was documenting his trip to Singapore when he stumbled upon a vending machine that actually sells Ferraris and other mouth-watering luxury cars. LivingBobby is one of the most popular travel vloggers on YouTube, boasting millions of followers who watch him journey around the world. The personality shows his audience the best that life has to offer by visiting exotic locations, and trying incredible food. During his February 15 upload, he wanted to see if he could find the world’s craziest vending machines to live off of for 24 hours. And in Singapore, he actually discovered one that sells luxury vehicles. Vlogger finds a Ferrari vending machine Bobby was visiting Singapore when he decided to check out the best vending machines in the world, and found everything from insanely hot foods to even money exchange for gold bars. However, he had his sights on the fabled car vending machine. “I still can’t believe it before I’ve seen it in person. I’ve seen it online but it just seems like a joke. It seems like an April fools joke,” he said, as he walked to its location. He was then taken aback once he arrived and saw how massive it was. “Ladies and gentleman, the car vending machine!” he exclaimed, as he pointed his camera towards the vending unit that was the size of an entire building. “I don’t want to make them think I’m gonna buy a car. But let’s see if they’ll let me bring down one of the luxury vehicles.” He then entered the establishment where he was greeted by an attendant. Shockingly, the place actually had a traditional vending machine button selection with various exotic cars to choose from. The employee then showed him how it all works. After you pick the car you want to buy, a device rises up and finds the slot that is chosen, and then slides the vehicle on top of it, before being lowered down to the customer. “Unbelievable! That is officially the coolest thing I’ve ever seen,” he remarked as the Ferrari that was selected reached the bottom, and then began to spin around for viewing. (Timestamp 04:44 for mobile users.) The travel vlogger has made a big name for himself on YouTube, amassing over 980k subscribers since joining the platform in 2014. Bobby’s motto is “Live Your Way Everyday” – something he certainly does as he shows his audience all the crazy things the world has to offer, including car vending machines.

  • Yiannimize explains why he changed his mind about buying a G Wagon – Dexerto

Yiannimize explains why he changed his mind about buying a G Wagon Yiannimize/YouTubePopular auto YouTuber Yianni ‘Yiannimize’ Charalambous showed off his recently-purchased Mercedes Benz G-Wagon in a new video where he explains what changed his mind on the luxury SUV. In 2017 Yianni put out a video titled “Why I hate the G-Wagon review” where he argued the vehicles didn’t perform as well as they looked. “It’s a tank, it looks fantastic. Yes for road presence, wow factor, you can’t beat a G-Wagon,” he admitted in 2017. “It’s very bumpy, tanky, turning circles are poor – I’m just not a fan, really, really not a fan.” But, somewhere between that video and now, the car-wrap expert’s opinion on the G-Wagon changed enough for him to pick up his very own 2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV. Yianni said the tipping point for him was the 2020 G-Wagon model’s new shape, which changed the bumpers, lights, and interior of the car while keeping its classic look. “Yes it’s been the ‘same’ shape for god knows how many years. However, it has been updated,” the Brit explained as he drove the new SUV. “So the bumper’s different, the lights are different, the interior’s different, and the wheels are obviously different as well.” While the interior had certainly won him over, Yianni had to admit that it was still a “little bumpy” to drive on the road, but nowhere near as bad as the previous models he’d tried. “It’s still got an awesome presence on the road, that’s one thing I did say about the G-Wagon,” he recalled. “If you drive around London what are the best cars that have the presence? G-Wagon or a Lamborghini, but I’d say this has more because of the size.” “Why do I like this G-Wagon over the other one? It’s new, they’ve made it look so much better inside,” Yianni continued. “Mercedes-Benz are known for having great cars, but I think the G-Wagons were never their priority when it came to interiors.” Some of Yiannimize’s most popular YouTube content is his car wrap and customization work, so it makes sense he has similar plans in store for his latest whip. He hasn’t shared any pictures of what he plans to do with the currently black-on-black vehicle but did say he would be adding mods to make it look wider, new tires, and of course, a custom wrap to make it stand out.

  • World’s most unlucky Mustang falls victim to police chase disaster – Dexerto

World’s most unlucky Mustang falls victim to police chase disaster Reddit:u/NickW762For many classic car owners, they garage their cars and keep them under covers for most of the year. For those without garages, driveways usually represent their best option for safe storage of the cars, but that’s not always the case, as this unfortunate Mustang owner discovered. Police chases are dangerous, often high-speed pursuits. In urban areas, they pose an additional threat due to the narrow streets, built-up areas, and tight corners. It was the last of those issues that caused this horrific scene shared to Reddit. It appears that the driver of this (presumed stolen) pickup truck is attempting to out-run the cops, when they completely misjudged the road ahead of them. Police chase ends in disaster In the clip shared to the r/idiotsincars subReddit, the CCTV footage shows two classic Ford Mustangs on the driveway under car covers, along with a brand-new Chevrolet Camaro SS parked on the street. While this is a perfectly everyday scene in suburban America, the peace was very quickly shattered by a police chase tearing through the neighborhood. As the footage begins, flashing lights can be seen in the background. This quickly escalates to the sight of a truck tearing around the neighborhood at high speed. Unfortunately, the driver of the truck misjudges just how tight the junction is, and disaster strikes. The truck clips the curb of the junction, and launches into the air. The stolen pickup then smashes sideways into the truck parked in front of the driveway. Not only is the owners’ truck totaled, but the stolen vehicle then continues to flip over onto the unsuspecting classic Mustangs parked on the driveway. Underneath the car covers were two classics: A 1967 Mustang Convertible, and a 1964 1/2 Mustang Coupé. The Chevrolet Camaro SS seems to have thankfully escaped the worst of the drama, but still seems to get a glancing blow from the truck. As if the fact their cars were destroyed isn’t enough, it also sounds like the insurance won’t cover the repairs according to the comments. According to the poster, the insurance will only cover “2 out of 3” and of course, the erratic driver had no insurance of their own. Clearly, living at the end of an intersection is dangerous for any classic car-owning enthusiast. At least it was just metal, rather than any lives, so the situation could’ve been much worse.

  • World’s fastest car crash test will leave you speechless – Dexerto

World’s fastest car crash test will leave you speechless YouTube: Bri4ka .comWe’re always told how dangerous it is to break highway speed limits, but we still see other drivers exceeding the limits on a daily basis. Well, watching this terrifying crash might show you just how dangerous it is to break the speed limit. All cars are required by government laws to be crash-tested before going on sale. The problem is, these crash tests are done at a speed that is well below the average highway speed: only 40mph. Not only are the cars tested at a low speed, but they are also smashed into a solid concrete wall. While this certainly tests the strength of the car, it doesn’t react in the same way that a ‘live’ car collision would. To prove their point, YouTubers Bri4Ka.com staged a crash test between an average family sedan and a school bus. While this may be a fairly extreme example, it is a perfectly possible situation. 200kph Crash Test ends in disaster Furthering the education value of their video, they also use it as a platform to demonstrate just how dangerous speeding is. Choosing to stage the world’s fastest crash test, at the point of impact the car would travel at 200km/h. Speeding is particularly dangerous as it affects your braking distances, too. The faster you go, the longer it takes to stop. Speed limits are determined by a number of factors, but largely due to the average braking distance of vehicles using the road, along with a number of environmental factors. Clip starts at 19:00 As the car speeds down the runway under remote control, a radar gun clocks the vehicle traveling at 129mph (207kph.) Smashing into the side of the bus, it is clear that had this been a real-life incident, nobody would’ve crawled out of the wreckage. While the car was totally destroyed, the bus didn’t fare much better. Every single window was shattered, and the ‘passengers’ on the bus would’ve all been wiped out. Thankfully, this test was a ‘worst case’ scenario but should serve as a stark reminder of how important road safety is. Had this not been a test, it would’ve been a very grisly scene indeed.

  • Will Smith’s incredible car collection revealed: Maybach, Cadillac, BMW – Dexerto

Will Smith’s incredible car collection revealed: Maybach, Cadillac, BMW Instagram: @willsmithWill Smith is one of Hollywood’s best-known actors. From legendary films such as I-Robot and Men In Black to voiceover parts in Disney Pixar films, Will has done it all. This long and lucrative career has paid off, and as a result, Will has an incredible and varied collection of cars. From being the Fresh Prince of Bel Air to taking starring roles in big-name Hollywood blockbusters, Will Smith has become a household name around the world. This fame has undoubtedly paid off, and as a result, Will has a reported net worth of around $350 million. A good chunk of that seems to have been spent on cars, with his garage housing some incredible machines. Here are our highlights from Will Smith’s car collection. Will Smith’s luxury car collection Will is evidently a man that prioritizes luxury over performance if his car collection is anything to go by. With numerous high-end luxury cars in his fleet, many of these vehicles are the sort of cars to be driven around in, as opposed to driving yourself. One of the most expensive and most exclusive vehicles in Will’s collection is his Maybach 57s. Valued at around $360,000 from new, the 57s is one of the most luxurious vehicles on the road. To go with the 57s, Will also owns a blacked-out Rolls Royce Ghost, which both he and Jaden Smith have been spotted in numerous times. When he’s on family duties, Smith also has a number of big, luxurious SUVs. From a massive Cadillac Escalade to a more subtle Mercedes-Benz GL450. By complete contrast to the GL450, Will also owns a massive 16-wheeler RV. Split over two storeys, the RV is luxury living on wheels. Sports cars Surprisingly for a big-name star, Will Smith doesn’t have a particularly big collection of sports or performance cars. The closest thing he has to a typical ‘supercar’ is the hybrid BMW i8. This ‘green’ BMW mixes traditional combustion-engined power and electric motors to produce 368bhp, and a 0-60 time of just 4.4 seconds. No doubt the choice to buy such a futuristic sports car was inspired by all the sci-fi films that Smith has starred in over the years. There may be another ‘green’ car set to join the Smith household too. Will has been pictured numerous times with a Porsche Taycan, though it is unclear whether the all-electric supercar is his or simply a loan car from the dealer. Finally, there’s one more standout car from his collection that we can’t ignore. In complete contrast to the rest of his eco-friendly sports cars, he owns a Cherry Red 1965 Ford Mustang. Powered by an ancient V8, gas-guzzling engine, the Mustang is the epitome of American Muscle car icons, and is perfect for a Hollywood Celebrity looking to enjoy the finer things in life. All in all, while Will Smith’s car collection isn’t the biggest or fastest, it’s certainly varied. With a car for all occasions, Will’s motoring looks set for both the past and future.

  • Why YouTuber crashing $3.5m Pagani hypercar is actually a good thing – Dexerto

Why YouTuber crashing $3.5m Pagani hypercar is actually a good thing YouTube: Royalty Exotic CarsSmashing up your dad’s $3.5m hypercar is a pretty bad day, all things considered. But what if you somehow benefitted from the situation? Well, it looks like that might be what happens for Gage of GGExotics. Having crashed the $3.5m Pagani Huyara Roadster hypercar, Gage from GGExotics was quick to release a statement giving his version of events, and explaining what had happened. Thankfully, no-one was seriously injured in the crash, and no other cars were involved. According to Gage, he was driving the 764hp hypercar when he lost control and spun out, hitting a tree and destroying the entire front end of the Pagani. In a strange turn of events, however, he may actually end up benefitting as a by-product of the crash, thanks to his YouTube channel. GGExotics gains followers after Pagani crash Following the crash blowing up on social media, Gage’s channel started becoming well-known among YouTube circles. News outlets such as Life of Palos covered the situation, as well as ‘mainstream’ news sites such as the Daily Mail. For a relatively small YouTuber, this is big news, even if the circumstances surrounding the newfound interest in the GGExotics channel aren’t the best. With YouTube basing its ad revenue payouts on the number of people watching videos (and therefore watching adverts), this sudden influx in interest may actually end up paying off for Gage. According to analytics site SocialBlade, GGExotics has been pulling in some impressive numbers since the incident. In the last 30 days, his view count is up over 240% (1.383 million.) Not only that, but his subscriber rate has also shot up, with between 1000 and 5000 new followers per day since the situation was revealed. They did have a potential buyer for the Huyara lined up in the form of Houston Crosta from Royalty Exotic Cars, but unfortunately, the Carbon tub was cracked, and Houston walked away from the deal as it was “too far gone” to repair. Of course, the gain in followers won’t be enough to pay off the smashed up Pagani, but the increased income will hopefully help Gage and friends get back to making YouTube content sooner.

  • Why Lamborghini’s Egoista supercar costs an eye-popping $117 million – Dexerto

Why Lamborghini’s Egoista supercar costs an eye-popping $117 million Lamborghini Media CenterSupercars are a luxury that only those with serious dollars to spend can buy, but Lamborghini’s Egoista is on another level of expensiveness. For many people, luxury cars are usually priced in the $40k–$100k range, with those with more to spend opting for an even more expensive option in the $150k–$1 million bracket, such as Tesla, McLaren, and Aston Martin. Lamborghini, however, has jumped to the top in terms of a costly vehicle – the company’s Egoista supercar costs a heart-stopping $117 million USD, and here’s why. Luxury Lamborghini Egoista supercar The one-seater, developed by Walter De Silva, is modeled after a fighter jet aircraft rather than a vehicle, and literally features a cockpit the driver must climb out of rather than using a standard door, much like a Formula One car. Before exiting, the steering wheel must be lifted up, and the protective dome opened by operating an electric panel, but that’s not all – the rider must then use a specific series of movements to actually get out of it. According to YouTube channel TheRichest, the supercar is made out of anti-radar material much like fighter planes, and its bodywork houses aerodynamic panels that change height depending on downforce and stability. (Timestamp 2:34 for mobile viewers.) The exterior is also modeled to look like a charging bull when viewed from the side, giving its 5.2-liter V10 engine with 600 horsepower a new meaning when it comes to speed. It was originally made as a tribute to the House of The Raging Bull’s 50th anniversary in 2013, and was proudly unveiled for an audience of 1,000 guests at the event’s Gala Dinner. The car saw action for one year, before returning to Sant’Agata Bolognese in northern Italy to be permanently displayed at the Lamborghini Museum in the company’s headquarters. Egoista literally means “selfish” in multiple European languages, which is a nod to the supercar’s outrageous price tag. De Silva even claims that its name represents “hedonism taken to the extreme” – something that rings true for anyone willing to spend $117 million on themselves.

  • Who is GG Exotics? Supercar kid looking to dominate YouTube car scene – Dexerto

Who is GG Exotics? Supercar kid looking to dominate YouTube car scene YouTube: GG ExoticsDespite the YouTube car scene being awash with creators, occasionally a rising star shines through. GG Exotics may well be one of those stars with access to multi-million-dollar hypercars, challenges, and entertaining videos. The son of a Texas billionaire; GG Exotics – real name Gage – has risen to YouTube prominence thanks to his high-stakes challenge videos, automotive pranks, and access to his dad’s incredible collection of super- and hypercars. Despite having only started posting on YouTube during July 2020, Gage has amassed himself over 57,000 subscribers and climbing thanks to his unique video style. With his first video on the channel being the arrival of his dad’s new 1-of-1 Pagani Huayra Roadster, it set the precedence for the kind of high-quality hypercar-based vlogs that form the backbone of the channel. Alongside his hypercar vlogs, that range from simple driving videos to ‘speccing’ an incoming Koenigsegg Jesko, Gage also posts regular high-stakes ‘challenge’ videos and pranks. Some of these videos see Gage betting thousands of dollars against his competitors. Regardless of whether this is a ‘flex’ thanks to his family wealth or simply a way to up the stakes, it results in a genuinely tense challenge atmosphere, as seen in his “Real life GTA mission” video. The highlight of the GG Exotics channel is without a doubt the incredible hypercar collection which Gage is privileged enough to have seemingly unrestricted access to. Not many young Americans have access to their dad’s sports cars, let alone a garage full of hypercars at their disposal. Featuring a $4m Bugatti Chiron, 1-0f-1 Pagani Huayra Roadster, $1m+ Ferrari LaFerrari, and McLaren Senna among others; The Garage seen on Gage’s YouTube channel would make even the most hardened car collector green with envy. It seems that Gage is happy to share these incredible cars for other YouTubers to experience, as seen in a series of collaboration videos with renowned YouTuber Tanner Fox. Filmed as part of Tanner’s “Billionaire life swap” series, Gage let Tanner drive both the multi-million dollar Bugatti Chiron and Tanner’s “dream car” the Ferrari LaFerrari. While the channel was growing well on its own, the collaboration with Tanner must’ve opened up some of Fox’s 10.3m subs to the GG Exotics channel. Clearly not one to worry excessively about the incredible car collection that he has, Gage also uses the cars as the basis for several prank videos. In one such video, he can be seen spray painting his dad’s Rolls Royce with brightly-colored paint. Thankfully the ‘graffiti’ is actually water-soluble chalk paint, but given the six-figure value of the Rolls Royce, that is still a very brave prank to be pulling. Not only content with pranking his family, but he also pranks fellow hypercar vlogger Riley (Ridewithry) who stars in a number of videos with Gage. In the prank video above, Gage says that it’s the start of “prank wars” between the two, so hopefully, there will be plenty of new videos from both channels as part of this ‘war’. With his lavish lifestyle, incredible car collection, and skill for creating genuinely entertaining videos, it seems Gage is well on his way to breaking the 100k subscribers mark in no time.

  • Whistlindiesel hits back again at Stradman following ‘harsh’ comments – Dexerto

Whistlindiesel hits back again at Stradman following ‘harsh’ comments Instagram: whistlindiesel/thestradmanAs one of the biggest ‘beefs’ to come out of the YouTube car community in 2020, the drama between WhistlinDiesel and TheStradman came to a head after Stradman blocked WD on Instagram. Now, WD has addressed the reasons behind the drama. When two high-profile YouTube creators clash, it becomes a very public competition of who gets the better remarks or can cause the most drama. In this instance, two of the biggest names in automotive YouTube have been at loggerheads: TheStradman from the ‘supercar community’ and WhistlinDiesel from the ‘truck community.’ With two contrasting styles, the pair have been publicly trading blows on-and-off for a few months. Since TheStradman blocked WD on Instagram, WD has spoken out about the situation. Having called the car community “not as hard as the truck community” WhistlinDiesel – real name Cody – has tried to make lighthearted humor out of the strange situation. “Coarse Humor” Having made several “coarse humor” comments on TheStradmans posts, Cody has now played it down saying it was just that – a joke in bad taste. With both sets of fans continuing the drama on WD and Stradman’s behalf, Cody has seemingly tried to put a stop to it once and for all. Unfortunately, the attempted apology appears to have lasted for a very short amount of time, having posted a screenshot from Life of Palos, with a caption saying “HATING PURPLE CARS IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME JIM MILLIONS OF INFLUENCERS SUFFER EVERY YEAR.” While it may just be a light-hearted dig and reference to hit show The Office, it’s comments such as this that caused the drama in the first place. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFI335PBXUk/ WhistlinDiesel’s jokes have backfired It may simply come down to the way that Stradman has interpreted Cody’s humor. On fellow YouTuber StreetSpeed717’s Instagram, Cody can be seen commenting tongue-in-cheek replies to his photos, showing off his dark and sometimes controversial sense of humor. Despite WD’s jokes being clearly a sore point for Stradman, it would appear that this ‘coarse’ humor wasn’t directed solely at TheStradman. Clearly there has been no serious apology, so Cody doesn’t seem to feel any remorse or regret his actions. That being said, harsh humor can go one way or the other, and it appears by using it on someone he doesn’t actually know in real life, it got Cody way more attention than he planned. Unfortunately, though, it was the wrong kind of attention.

Whistlindiesel calls out TheStradman for his “bad taste” in cars Instagram: whistlindiesel/thestradmanYouTubers are human just like the rest of us, so when Whistlindiesel called out TheStradman in a post about his wide-body Supra and “bad taste” in cars on Instagram, TheStradman hit back with comments of his own. The seemingly unprovoked ‘shots’ came courtesy of an image of what appears to be similar to TheStradman’s wide-body Toyota A90 Supra that he built for SEMA last year. Whistlindiesel uses the image as a platform to moan about the “bad taste” of the car community, specifically those who own Supras. While the initial cause of this ‘Insta-beef’ is unclear, it seems that Whistlindiesel has recently expanded into creating car content rather than his trademark heavy-duty truck and off-roading videos, which seems to have sparked a backlash from some of his viewers. If the use of an image resembling one of TheStradman’s cars wasn’t bad enough, he also referenced the car being wrapped in “some sort of grape color,” which is a trademark of TheStradman’s videos — at one point in time, nearly his entire fleet was wrapped in a satin purple ‘grape’ color! View this post on Instagram Ok I’m just gonna say it. Some of the car community has REALLY BAD TASTE ? I’m not sure why anyone thinks the new supras look good, maybe they don’t they just like the idea of the word “Supra” even though the old ones didn’t look good either. Only a matter of time before it gets wrapped in some sort of grape color Response to Whistlindiesel’s comments Whistlindiesel’s followers didn’t seem to appreciate this quibble with Stradman, though, with several top commenters telling him to “stay in his lane” and “stick to what you know.” This suggests that despite being WD’s supporters, even they didn’t see the need to take a shot at TheStradman. Within 30 mins of the post going up, TheStradman responded, having assumed the post was directed at him and his SEMA build Supra. Making reference to the fact that Whistlindiesel seems to enjoy destroying vehicles on his channel, Strad responded: “How about you buy one, wrap it purple and then destroy it for YouTube views, as such a valued member of the car community. Also, nice to talk to you for the first time.” It seems that TheStradman has now deleted his comment from WD’s post, but has since put up his own post saying: “Ah, the sheep have come out to say hello” along with a shot of his three satin purple SEMA vehicles. This may not be the last we hear from Whistlindiesel and TheStradman, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated should anything else surface between the pair.

  • Which hypercar will The Stradman buy next? – Dexerto

Which hypercar will The Stradman buy next? TheStradman / Photo: Will ColletteImagine a life in which a big part of your job is deciding which hypercar you’d like to add to your garage. That’s exactly how The Stradman, one of the biggest automotive YouTubers in the world, entertains his audience of millions. Thanks to YouTube, he’s gone from pushing a broken Audi TT in the streets of LA to car shopping for some of the world’s fastest automobiles. In the last two months, he announced that he’s purchasing a new hypercar, and has been dropping clues along the way as to which one from his shopping list he’s going to plump for. So what will he buy? Based on my research using The Stradman’s socials and supercar community news channel Life Of Palos, I’ve determined that there are six options – the Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren Senna, Pagani Huayra, Bugatti Veyron, and the McLaren P1. Porsche, Ferrari or McLaren Senna? In one of The Stradman’s Instagram posts a few weeks ago, he replied to various comments and explained that he wouldn’t be purchasing hypercars such as the Bugatti or P1. However, in recent posts such as the YouTube vid below (from 13:30), he’s done a complete 180 with literally zero backlash from fans. So I guess we’re on board with anything as long as it’s fast and expensive. I think we can knock out the 918 first. Although Porsche did an amazing job with this hybrid masterpiece, it just doesn’t excite people the way a P1 or Huayra would, so off you go Porsche. We can easily eliminate a LaFerrari, since Stradman has already added a 430 Challenge car to his garage, and another high-end Ferrari wouldn’t diversify his fleet enough. Goodbye, Italian LAF. The McLaren Senna seems like it would be a surefire bet because these are ultra-rare and even non-car enthusiasts would spill their morning coffee if one sped past their window. But too many clues are pointing to the P1, such as his Instagram post found below, which makes me believe there’s only room for one McLaren in The Stradman’s life. So, see ya Senna. https://www.instagram.com/p/CB_j4dYDOUf/ Before we address the idea of a P1, I want to consider the work of art that is a Huayra. I haven’t seen many other YouTubers, with the exception of Manny Khoshbin, introduce Paganis to their channels. As of this week, Savage Garage might have some Pagani action on their channel too, which should be worth checking out. The Huayra could be a great option for The Stradman, so I don’t think we can eliminate it so easily. It’s within budget and has been mentioned before as an option, but in recent Instagram posts, the P1 and Veyron have each had overwhelmingly more attention. Yet the P1 seems like the most ideal option here, since it’s within his budget and also comes with the hype that his subscribers would expect from an epic vehicle like this. Although the P1 has made it to his recent Instagram posts, there is another vying for his attention: The Veyron. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCUdyCEjwp9/ Veyron Vs P1 So will The Stradman buy a new Bugatti? Well, the Veyron has been the hot item on his channel lately. He traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona for a recent vlog just to check out a blacked-out Bugatti, so that definitely seems like one he’s interested in. Following the trip, his most recent Instagram post from just a week ago tells us that he’s made bids on a JDM car, a hypercar, and something totally out of left field. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCkJ9v1jkc3/ We already know from a follow-up vlog that the JDM car was purchased by someone else, so now we are waiting to discover what the identity of the hypercar will be. All we know for sure is that old cars have been sold, new cars are on the way, and here’s hoping that the mystery car has at least three axles. • What is #grasscar? Why TikTok users are turning cars into mobile gardens – Dexerto

What is #grasscar? Why TikTok users are turning cars into mobile gardens Original image: Lupus in SaxoniaDesigned for short-form viral video content, TikTok has exploded onto the social media scene in recent months and its latest car-centric craze is a little strange, to say the least. Say hello to #grasscar. It appears that the first grasscar video (or at least the first to gain any major traction) was posted by user Erin Rease back on the 16th of June. Since then her video has over 2.8 million views and we’ve seen everything from tiny hatchbacks to full-on SUVs receiving the ‘#grasscar’ treatment. Even US race series NASCAR got in on the act, commenting on Erin’s post saying: “We may have found a new series” which of course got the full support of Erin herself. Is this a marketing stunt waiting to happen? Unfortunately for NASCAR, ‘grasscar’ is a form of lawnmower racing that already exists in places such as Texas, sorry guys! That having been said, it would be a great marketing ploy by an astroturf manufacturer to cover a NASCAR entrant vehicle in fake grass… The strange, almost hypnotic, soundtrack that accompanies these videos gives them somewhat of a creepy feeling, at complete odds with the apparent innocence of creating grass mats for your vehicle. Whatever the reason for this choice of soundtrack, it certainly adds a whole new dimension of weirdness to the challenge. Safety first There’s also the (boring) safety aspect to consider here. Whilst regular car mats are designed to be non-slip, there’s no guarantee that astroturf will have the same properties. Should you take part in the #grasscar challenge, be sure to double-check the ‘grass’ won’t slide underneath the pedals of your car whilst driving.

  • Vehicle Virgins reveals 6 things he hates about Tesla Model Y – Dexerto

Vehicle Virgins reveals 6 things he hates about Tesla Model Y Tesla / Instagram: vehiclevirginsPopular car YouTuber Vehicle Virgins has been using a Tesla Model Y and, despite the popularity of the electric vehicle, has shared six things that he believes “suck” about the Model Y. Tesla has become one of the biggest car brands in the world, with CEO Elon Musk spearheading an “electric revolution” and bringing out a range of new vehicles – including the highly-anticipated Tesla Roadster, which he recently revealed may be delayed until after the Tesla Cybertruck. But that’s not to say Tesla gets everything perfect, and that’s what Vehicle Virgins wanted to discuss, telling viewers what he believes are six of the worst things about the Model Y. While Vehicle Virgins – real name Parker Nirenstein – says that the vehicle is “absolutely amazing,” this doesn’t mean he’s completely satisfied with every facet of the Model Y, going into detail about some of the cosmetic or aesthetic issues with the car. Most of Nirenstein’s main gripes with the car are, as mentioned, aesthetic, which might be somewhat surprising considering one of Tesla’s main appeals is that their cars are designed to look slick to another level. Reeling off his list of complaints – which even he would admit are somewhat minor, as they don’t seem to affect the drivability of the Model Y at all – Nirenstein says the following are the biggest issues with the Model Y: The tyres are too small – huge wheel gap – Some build quality elements, such as panel gaps, are “not that great” and “don’t align right” – Faulty rear seat folding buttons, which he says is a “common issue” – Front seats are on risers, which are “ugly” and makes him “concerned for [his] safety” – Reclining back seats means passengers will hit their head on the roof – Loud noise when stationary – As mentioned, Nirenstein prefaces this video saying that he loves the Tesla Model Y, so clearly none of his issues with it affect how much he wants to drive it, but are more areas where the car could be improved to make it perfect, rather than making it drivable. In terms of functionality, he doesn’t seem to have any huge issues, though it’s maybe worth noting the issues with the back seats if you plan on regularly having passengers or utilizing more trunk space in your Model Y. Finally, he says that if the Model Y or Model 3 are in your budget, it makes complete sense to get one, so he clearly believes it’s worth more than other cars around the same price, which may be worth considering if you’re in the market for one.

  • U.S. needs staggering amount of electric cars to hit 2050 climate goal – Dexerto

U.S. needs staggering amount of electric cars to hit 2050 climate goal TeslaWith the increasing likelihood of electricity becoming the de-facto fuel of choice for cars in the future, a recent study has discovered that the U.S will need an incredible level of electrification to meet the Paris Climate Accord requirements. With increasing levels of global warming in the last 20 years, countries around the world have all been agreeing to do their part to combat climate change. According to a recent study by engineers at The University of Toronto, however, the U.S has a long way to go. In order to meet the Paris Climate Accord goals of limiting global warming to 2 degrees Celcius, drastic changes need to be implemented. The study states that a staggering 90 percent of ‘light duty’ cars and vehicles on the road would have to be electric by 2050. To facilitate this, all new cars sold by 2035 would have to be fully electric, in line with the recent announcement by the state of California. Electric vehicles are not sufficient on their own According to Scientific American, if every state was to adopt the same policy as California, a total of 350 million electric vehicles would be on the road by 2050. Doing so would dramatically slash the carbon output of the United States. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly a straightforward process. If EVs were to be the only type of new car available, their total power usage would exceed 40% of the current national grid capacity. To support the influx of EVs would require significant investment in the electricity grid and supply chain. Alexandre Milovanoff, lead author of the study, said: “We need to deploy electric vehicles, but we also need to be realistic that they’re probably not sufficient on their own.” The U.S needs to improve public transport links The other way of reducing emissions is to reduce the public’s reliance on personal transport. This too would require significant investment, but focused on public transportation networks rather than solely on the electricity infrastructure. Should the current level of personal transportation be frozen, it would require only 50% of cars to be electric by 2050 to achieve the same level of emissions reduction. This is not an easy process, however, as the U.S has a number of isolated settlements. The United States is officially intending on withdrawing from the Paris Accord in November 2020. This means there is no guarantee that any changes will be implemented. Regardless, there is no denying that big changes need to be put in place to combat climate change, though it is unclear what form these will take.

  • Typical Gamer reveals new car after girlfriend roasts his Lamborghini – Dexerto

Typical Gamer reveals new car after girlfriend roasts his Lamborghini Popular YouTuber Typical Gamer has revealed his brand-new car after revealing that his girlfriend wasn’t the biggest fan of his Lamborghini. Gaining success through content creation has proven to be lucrative for many streamers and YouTubers. Some, like PewDiePie, have invested their hard-earned cash, while others have splashed out – securing a new house for themselves, or their parents, while others have picked up their dream cars. However, even though he may own a Lamborghini, YouTuber Typical Gamer had to find an alternative set of wheels after his girlfriend aired some complaints about it being “impractical,” for only having two sets and “no trunk space.” So, in his newest vlog – aptly named ‘My New Car!’ – the YouTuber revealed that he’d gone out and picked up a 2020 Tesla Model X as a “great complimentary car” to his Lambo. “I mean, this is a dream come true,” Typical Gamer admitted after showing off his new purchase. “This is an absolutely fantastic car and a great complimentary car to the Lamborghini, of course.” While he gave fans a quick tour of his vehicle, including taking a look at the interesting mini-games that the main screen has to offer, Typical Gamer did reveal that he was looking at offering up a longer features video in the future. “We don’t have a name for it yet,” the YouTuber said as he was bringing his video to a close, while also asking for suggestions. “The Lamborghini is staying, we got the Model X,” he added, before noting that the new vehicle has some “crazy modes.” Even though Typical Gamer and his girlfriend might be delighted with their purchase, he may have wanted to take heed of EvgeniTalks who noted that if you do want a new Tesla, you should probably be choosing the 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance over everything else.

  • TheStradman explains why he chose $1m Bugatti Veyron over McLaren P1 – Dexerto

TheStradman explains why he chose $1m Bugatti Veyron over McLaren P1 YouTube: TheStradmanWith many of TheStradman’s fans hoping he’d buy a McLaren P1 instead of the Bugatti Veyron as his first hypercar, Stradman took a moment to explain why this particular hypercar meant so much to him in a frank and emotional video segment. While YouTuber TheStradman – real name James – has always been open about his past, he’s never really opened up about just how important YouTube was to him in the early days until now. During his early days of car spotting when job-less and living in his Audi TT, it literally came down to choosing between “pursuing the dream” creating YouTube videos, or eating a hot meal. One video would “pay for two meals” Describing the first time he laid eyes on a Bugatti Veyron in Beverly Hills, James said he knew filming an ultra-rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse would “pay for two meals” (through YouTube monetization) so he abandoned the pizza he was eating to chase the car down. Given that he would only eat out “one time per week”, for James to throw away his only proper meal of the week to chase the Bugatti down was a huge commitment. The rest of his meals “mostly consisted of Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches” while living out of his Audi. With the significance of the Bugatti making him abandon his hot meal for the week, it is only right that the Veyron would become his ‘goal’ car. While the McLaren P1 is an incredible machine, James said the Veyron “left such an impact on me” that it had to be his first hypercar and it’s the perfect “representation of success”. Clip starts at 5:00 Hinting at plans for the Bugatti Since he has now achieved his goal of buying and owning his very own Bugatti Veyron, it was only a matter of time before it was modified in some way. It seems that even the million-dollar Veyron is set to become part of the “grape army” and Stradman practically confirms it in the above video. Confirming that the current white and black color scheme is a wrap, he says that he will be unwrapping it to reveal the color beneath. “We’re going to unwrap it, and then we’re going to wrap it pretty soon… you know what color we’re going to do it,” practically confirming the ‘grape’ wrap, which is only further backed up by using his purple trainers as an example. It seems we’ll be seeing a ‘grape’ Bugatti Veyron sooner than we thought.

  • Travis Scott’s huge $8 million car collection revealed: Lambo, Ferrari, more – Dexerto

Travis Scott’s huge $8 million car collection revealed: Lambo, Ferrari, more Instagram: @travisscottRapper and producer Travis Scott is a household name, winning numerous awards throughout his music career. With such a successful life, he has been able to afford some incredible cars, as YouTuber Seb Delanney discovers. With a net worth of around $58m thanks to his diverse musical career as both an artist and producer, Travis Scott has afforded himself a lifestyle of luxury and comfort. This, of course, extends to his incredible multi-million dollar car collection. Featuring a multitude of exotic cars and hypercars, Travis’ collection reads like a whos-who of luxury cars. Not only that, but Scott has a habit of customizing his vehicles, so there are some interestingly-specced choices in his garage. A firm favorite in the celebrity world, Scott is known for his customized Range Rover Autobiography. Worth around $130,000, his car has been significantly customized, including being wrapped in a new color. Therefore, it is likely that his ‘Rover’ would be worth significantly more than this. In typical celebrity style, his collection also includes a number of Lamborghinis. While he has a Lamborghini Urus in his collection, the highlight of his Lambos has to be the West Coast Customs special Lamborghini Aventador SV. Worth over $497,000, this customized SV is one of the jewels in his fleet. Sticking with the supercar theme, Travis has often been seen in a Ferrari 488. While he has kept this one mostly stock, it is still worth a cool $325,000 as standard. One of the most unusual cars in his collection has to be the Maybach G650 Landaulet. Based on the Mercedes G wagon, this extended and heavily modified ‘G’ has over 600hp from its twin-turbo V12 engine. With only 99 built, it would’ve set Scott back around $1 million. The pinnacle of Travis’ car collection has to be his two hypercars. First up is the ever-cool Ferrari LaFerrari. With second-hand values so high, Scott likely paid in the region of $3m for his. Finished in Rosso Corsa over Black leather, its a timeless and exquisite Italian performance icon. Finally, there’s his Bugatti Chiron. Bought as a $3m 28th birthday present to himself, the Chiron has 1500hp from its quad-turbocharged engine. Fitted with crazy purple underglow, his Chiron looks like something straight out of Need for Speed. In total, Travis Scott’s collection is worth nearly $8,000,000 though the reality is he probably has a number of low-key cars for when he doesn’t want to be spotted. This means the total value is likely in excess of $8m – not bad for a 28-year old!

  • Top Gear’s Chris Harris slams “stupid” $625k Ferrari SF90 Stradale – Dexerto

Top Gear’s Chris Harris slams “stupid” $625k Ferrari SF90 Stradale YouTube: Top GearAs presenter of BBC’s Top Gear, Chris Harris is living out his boyhood dream. Inevitably, once in a while a supercar is going to come along that really gets his back up, and it seems the brand new Ferrari SF90 Stradale has done exactly that. Harris hasn’t always been a household TV name. Prior to joining Top Gear in 2016, Harris presented his own series on YouTube, along with writing for the likes of Autocar and Evo magazine in England. After a famous falling-out with Ferrari back in 2011 (which saw him banned from reviewing their cars for two years) it seems Harris is still on good terms with the Italian brand, but that may be about to change. Unfortunately for Ferrari, Chris Harris is definitely not a fan of the new SF90 Stradale hybrid, not even in the top-range ‘Assetto Fiorano’ trim. Costing a whopping $625,000 without options, the SF90 represents a new direction for Ferrari. Sadly, it seems that it’s not a good direction, at least according to Harris. Chris Harris reviews the Ferrari SF90 Stradale He believes that supercar manufacturers are going down a “rabbit hole of performance,” chasing ever-decreasing 0-60 times and fighting for the fastest lap times possible. The SF90 seems to fall firmly into this category for Harris, and he wasted no time tearing into the apex supercar. “The thing is undeniably impressive” he admitted when asked about his opinion on the car, but that’s about as much praise as he had. “It’s a vehicle you find yourself admiring rather than lusting after, it trades in applying forces to the body of the driver, that’s really it.” The complexity of the SF90 is a big issue, as is the brutal performance. “It’s so fast, you don’t have time to understand what’s going on… it’s stupid” said Chris. He does admit that the characteristics of the car are “sensational” but they sadly don’t make up for its pitfalls. Practicality is a big concern too, as the location of the SF90’s electric motors in the front means that it can’t carry luggage. This transforms it from a car into a “toy” according to Harris, as there’s no practicality to it whatsoever. The SF90 is “nearly as quick as a LaFerrari” While Ferraris are often lauded as the prettiest cars on the road, even styling can’t save the SF90. In his words, Chris said “it looks like it was styled by a computer, rather than some Italian bloke with a pencil… It’s lacking emotion.” Summing up, Chris says despite the fact the SF90 is “nearly as quick as a LaFerrari” its stablemate, the F8 Tributo, is far better. “Give me 500hp, 950kg, a manual gearbox, and maybe a little bit of electricity to get through town quietly and start-up quietly in front of my neighbors; Give me that, and that’s the car I want.” Whether his harsh words will lead to another falling out with Ferrari is uncertain, but with many praising his honesty, it’s unlikely Harris is going to change any time soon.

  • Top Gear roasts their viewers’ cars with hilarious results – Dexerto

Top Gear roasts their viewers’ cars with hilarious results YouTube: Top GearBBC’s Top Gear attracts all kinds of petrolheads, from supercar owners to first-time drivers. This eclectic audience provides plenty of comedic potential, however, as unsuspecting owners found out when Chris Harris roasted the audiences’ cars. No one was safe from the prying eyes of Chris Harris, Freddie Flintoff, and Paddy McGuiness as they ‘evaluated’ their audiences’ cars during an outdoor filming session. Due to recent restrictions, Top Gear had to film their latest season outdoors, creating a type of open-air drive-in cinema. This meant that there were plenty of unusual and strange cars in the audience, much to the amusement of Harris and co. Chris Harris roasts audience cars Harris wastes no time getting down to roasting the cars of unsuspecting members of the public. Right from the word go, he picks on a young Mazda MX5 driver, joking that the giant wing on the back of his car “must be handy” for added downforce. Next up, he discovers a wedge-shaped Triumph TR7 sat in one of the front rows. Summed up as “Paddy McGuiness in a car” once he discovers it has a V8 in the front, Chris says “so it goes like a stabbed rat… but I won’t say what it looks like!” McGuiness asks: “Is there any [Ferrari] Californias out there Chris?” to which Harris promptly responds with “no, there’s a no **** policy on the door” in typical deadpan fashion. Finally, Harris thinks he found his perfect car, but it turned out to be hiding a secret. An all-original BMW 3-Series M Sport convertible at the back of the audience catches his eye. Sadly, it wasn’t quite what it seemed; Upon discovering it was an automatic, he exclaims: “It’s an auto… NOO! All the boxes were ticked (apart from being manual) but it is absolutely gorgeous.” It wasn’t all bad news though, as some of the cars were genuinely gorgeous. An early Porsche 911 G-Series Speedster was one of his highlights, having described the car as “H*rny.” Not only that, but a number of pre-WW2 Bentleys stood out in the crowd, with McGuiness joking at one point that the three elderly owners were the Top Gear team “in ten years!” While car ownership and modification is a thoroughly personal choice, it’s always fun to have a laugh with each other, and that’s what the Top Gear team do best.

  • Top Gear explains why $2 million electric hypercar can still be improved – Dexerto

Top Gear explains why $2 million electric hypercar can still be improved YouTube: Top GearThe Top Gear crew managed to get their hands on the incredible Rimac C_Two electric hypercar, worth $2,000,000 – but explained why there’s still room for improvement, despite the huge price tag. The Rimac C_Two electric GT hypercar has been in planning and production for over a decade now, having been unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show with first deliveries expected at some point in 2020, but spoken about as early as 2008. It boasts 0-60 speeds in under 2 seconds and almost 1900 brake horsepower – more than the Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Regera, and Hennessey Venom F5, three of the most powerful supercars in the world. Top Gear’s Jack Rix got behind the wheel of a prototype C_Two to give it a spin and see what he really thought of it – and for the most part, he seemed thoroughly impressed. Discussing the feel of driving the Rimac masterpiece, Rix was clearly impressed throughout and was evidently enjoying himself and the ride, though he did point it where he thinks the car needs to be worked on. After reeling off the incredible specs of the car, Rix noted: “The first thing to talk about is the acceleration; it’s not quite as explosive out the blocks as you might imagine.” He then went on to add that the C_Two forms “a fantastic basis for a very, very fast car.” (Timestamp 1:40 for mobile viewers) Despite what seems to be somewhat insignificant shortcomings considering how much Rix enjoys driving the car, he does specify that “this is a prototype of the full production machine, albeit one without the full performance unlocked.” Former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond was among the first to test-drive the earlier Rimac Concept One and subsequently crashed it when filming for Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Grand Tour’, so maybe it’s lucky the newer car doesn’t have more even more power than it already does. With a $2m price tag and only 150 in the world, you won’t be seeing many of these on the road – but it might begin to enter people’s “dream car” territory as the most powerful electric vehicle on the market.

  • TikTokkers go viral with insanely fast drivable sofa – Dexerto

TikTokkers go viral with insanely fast drivable sofa TikTok: ak_stremboliWhile TikTok is a gold mine for crazy, often pointless videos sometimes you find something that’s just so crazy, it’s actually clever. That’s exactly the case here, as shown by TikTok user AK_Stremboli and his mate Jack’s crazy motorized sofa. Yes, that’s correct; A motorized sofa. Seemingly built upon a custom-made go-kart frame, the two-seater couch can be driven around whilst sat in comfort. The off-road performance of this ‘couch-mobile’ also seems surprisingly good, being able to run around dirt roads with ease. Practicality isn’t a strong point and there are not even any cup holders, which is a shame given the soft, comforting nature of the seating. Go-Kart power All jokes aside, this is likely a terrifying vehicle to ride on with no seatbelts and very little in the way of safety, though if anything goes wrong the riders could just jump away to safety. It seems that the sofa is controlled via a joystick-style arrangement linked directly to the chassis. Power comes from a 2-stroke Go Kart engine and apparently the sofa can reach a mildly terrifying 60 km/h (37mph) at full speed. Jack has even thought about how to maintain his sofa-kart, fitting the seat on a bracket to let it hinge upwards if he needs access to the engine. The sofa is a local celebrity Apparently the motorized sofa is a hit with the locals too, having been entered in the previous years’ campsite parade where “everyone loved it” though the same might not be said for local law enforcement having the same view should they hit the open road with this crazy invention. AK_Stremboli and Jack have even made a follow-up video that seems to show the sofa on the open road. Describing his friend Jack’s work, AK_Stremboli says the man is a “genius” and the sofa is a “ton of fun to rip around.” At least the journey times from the sofa to the refrigerator and back will be cut drastically if you never even have to leave the sofa.

  • This whacky off-road Ford Mustang is the weirdest ‘pony car’ we’ve ever seen – Dexerto

This whacky off-road Ford Mustang is the weirdest ‘pony car’ we’ve ever seen YouTube: UNSEEN BUILDSFord Mustangs are a staple of muscle and tuner car culture, but they’re generally not suited to off-road adventures. Well, it seems one owner was determined to change that, and build the craziest Mustang we’ve ever seen. Converting cars for off-roading is nothing new, with many cheap truck owners modifying their cars to cross rough terrain with ease. While it may be commonplace for trucks to be converted into mud-crawling beasts, it’s not something you’d typically associate a Ford Mustang with. Well, clearly this Mustang owner really, really wanted to go off-roading without buying a new car. Most vehicles get so-called ‘lift kits’ to raise the body, along with larger all-terrain tires, but this Mustang driver went all-out with their modifications. Insane off-road converted Ford Mustang The first thing that is apparent about this Mustang is that it is a one-off build. Strangely enough, that’s probably a good thing, given the insane proportions of the modified car. Instead of going the usual ‘lifted’ route, the owner of this Mustang instead opted to go wide; Really wide. The axles on the Mustang have been replaced with extended versions, which are hopefully bulked up to support the extra forces. The standard wheels have also been replaced, with a set of massive off-road wheels that would look at home on a monster truck. The tires have also been upgraded to deal with loose and rough surfaces, which no doubt helps when facing off against a standard Mustang. Power has also been tweaked for this insane creation. Gone is the standard V8, and in its place sits a modified 5.0l Twin-turbo V8 ‘Coyote’ engine. Thanks to its heavy modification, the engine puts down roughly 1,200bhp at the wheels. To test this insane creation, it went head-to-head with a ‘stock’ example of the Mustang. While the standard version did well at first, once the off-road course was watered down, it didn’t stand a chance against this crazy creation.

This ridiculous 880hp classic Jeep is faster than most supercars YouTube: Hoonigan AutoFocus / Larry ChenJeeps are generally used as utilitarian, no-fuss runabouts for those in the country. But what if your daily runabout could smash a Ferrari at the drag strip? Well, that’s exactly what the owners of this insane Jeep wanted to discover. Engine-swapping classic cars is nothing new, with owners wanting to make their classics more usable on a daily basis. In this instance, however, the owners of this Jeep have made it significantly less-usable, in a dramatic way. Filmed for a Hoonigan AutoFocus episode with renowned photographer Larry Chen, this highly-tuned Jeep Cherokee from 1975 is one of the craziest Jeeps ever built. Not only are the stats impressive, but so is the performance, with this 1970s Jeep feeling right at home on the drag strip. Crazy customized Jeep Cherokee Described as “very unique” by Larry, this jeep may look relatively normal from the outside (save for being significantly lowered) but under the hood it packs a punch. In place of the standard motor is a 5.7l Hemi V8 engine with over 800hp. Not only has the engine been swapped, but also turbocharged, utilizing a set of compound turbos for added power. All told, this Cherokee is running 880hp! That’s more than most supercars on the market today. The owner admits the beauty is only skin-deep: “It’s basically a Jeep costume on [top of] a racecar.” The shell may be a Jeep, but the chassis underneath is incredibly over-engineered and modified, resulting in this incredible creation. Inside, the interior is completely stripped out and race-prepared. With a lightweight bucket seat, full roll cage, and harnesses, the owner says it’s still perfectly usable as a normal car, and even gets 20mpg on the highway. At the drag strip, the Jeep will do a 9.9x second pass over a quarter-mile run, reaching over 140mph. Anything under a 10-second pass is considered impressive on a quarter-mile strip. Therefore, for a 1970s Jeep to post such a time is shocking. The best part about this crazy creation? At the end of the day at the drag strip or autocross, the owner can simply drive it home, with no need for a trailer. No doubt he embarrasses some much, much more expensive machinery on the way home too.

  • TheStradman’s insane supercar history will leave you speechless – Dexerto

TheStradman’s insane supercar history will leave you speechless YouTube: TheStradmanFrom living in his Audi TT to owning a million-dollar hypercar, the story of TheStradman’s rise to success is a Hollywood movie in the making. Along the way, he’s owned some incredible cars which many people could only dream of driving. Having taken delivery of his “dream car” in the form of a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, YouTuber TheStradman is not one to shy away from speaking about his past; from losing his job and car-spotting while living in his Audi TT to reaching 2.7m subscribers and owning a fleet of supercars, he’s come a long way in a few short years. Of course, covering every single car that Stradman has ever owned would be akin to writing war and peace, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pick out a few highlights to share and (hopefully) inspire other petrolheads to chase their dreams. Lamborghini Gallardo A round-up of TheStradman’s car history wouldn’t be complete without the car that started it all: His Lamborghini Gallardo. Bought as Stradman’s first supercar, this Arancio Borealis (Orange) Gallardo helped him launch his channel to the masses. Describing the day he picked up the car as “possibly the single best day of my entire life” Strad is clearly attached to his Gallardo as it still resides in his garage, albeit with a few modifications. McLaren 570s After moving to Utah and having owned, modified, and sold his Audi R8, Strad went for something a little more exotic — the McLaren 570s. Revealing that the car only had around 3000 miles on the clock, it was the first time Strad bought a ‘nearly new’ supercar for the channel. With its incredible specification including a full carbon and Alcantara interior pack, the McLaren represented a serious ‘step up’ for the channel. Lamborghini Aventador Sticking with his love for Lamborghinis, Strad purchased what he claimed to be the “cheapest Lamborghini Aventador in the nation” as the basis for an all-out supercar build. Little did he know that this ‘cheap’ Aventador would go on to form part of his entourage at SEMA in 2019. Widebody Toyota Supra Speaking of SEMA 2019, Stradman’s star of the show had to make an appearance on this list. Having bought his Toyota Supra brand new, he proceeded to ‘widebody’ convert it using a specially-designed kit. With so many custom shops, fabricators, and car owners modifying their Supras during 2019, it is even more impressive that Stradman managed to get his own car into the coveted SEMA show — a moment that he will never forget. Sadly this car has now been sold, but since it was sold to make-up magnate Jeffree Starr, it’ll likely still be in the public eye for a while to come. Ferrari F430 Challenge It may not have been his most expensive car, but the Ferrari F430 Challenge must be the most outlandish and unusual car that Stradman has ever owned. Yes, even when compared to the Rolls-Royce limousine. A road-legalized Ferrari Challenge race car, this particular vehicle had been campaigned in competitive racing prior to his ownership. Driving a race car on the road is an incredible experience and the stuff of dreams for many petrolheads. In typical Stradman style, the car received an overly loud exhaust, wrap, and numerous other modifications before it was sold off as part of a large car clear-out earlier in 2020. Bugatti Veyron While all of TheStradman’s previous cars have been incredible and special in their own ways, none are more important or significant to the channel than his first hypercar: the Bugatti Veyron. The Bugatti represents not only his transition into hypercar ownership, but also represents his first $1 million dollar vehicle — an incredible milestone for a YouTube channel to hit. Even more special is the fact that Strad used to photograph and film Veyrons in Beverly Hills while living out of his Audi TT. He has truly come full-circle, and topping the Veyron will be a very difficult challenge indeed.

  • TheStradman shuts down neighborhood with insane $5m hypercar meeting – Dexerto

TheStradman shuts down neighborhood with insane $5m hypercar meeting YouTube: TheStradmanWith the Gold Rush Rally rolling through his home state of Utah, YouTuber TheStradman took full advantage of the situation. Arranging an incredible photoshoot, he shut down his street with millions of dollars worth of exotic cars. As you can imagine, having half of a supercar rally turn up unexpectedly makes quite a scene. With a Pagani, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and more, the Savage Garage team (plus a few extras) made quite the entrance when they arrived in Stradman’s neighborhood. “This is absolutely legendary… half of Gold Rush Rally is here” exclaimed Strad as the cars continued to pile into his cul-de-sac. With so many high-performance exotic cars, the group caused a lot of noise as they maneuvred their cars onto Stradman’s driveway: “I can see the neighbors all looking through their windows… I’d like to apologize formally to each and every one of you!” Randy’s Pagani Huayra struggled to get onto the drive since it is so low, and has an extended carbon fiber splitter on the front. Thankfully, it made it on in one piece, and Strad was quick to draw comparisons between it and his Veyron. “This interior is so much cooler than the Veyron” he exclaimed excitedly. “Bugatti, take note… this interior, there’s nothing quite like it!” Surprisingly, his neighbors were all completely fine with their street being taken over. One even joked that he was “bringing down the value of the neighborhood” but it was all in good jest. Clip starts at 2:08 Many even went as far as coming out of their houses to view the spectacle, and the Gold Rush teams were all accommodating of curious kids seeing these exotic cars for the first time. With a total of 12 cars and a value of at least $4.4 million on his driveway, Stradman successfully shut down his entire neighborhood. Even Burlacher appeared on the roof of the house, having taken time out of his workday to appreciate everything going on. Eventually, after a number of photoshoots, plenty of B-roll filming and a few broken eardrums, the group left to re-join the Gold Rush Rally. Despite their short stay, it gave Stradman one of the coolest experiences of his YouTube career so far, and definitely made a few new friends in the street.

  • TheStradman shames “delinquent” who vandalized his Lamborghini Aventador – Dexerto

TheStradman shames “delinquent” who vandalized his Lamborghini Aventador TheStradman – YouTubePopular car YouTuber TheStradman responded to the teenager who took a picture on the hood of his Lamborghini Aventador. A young man couldn’t help himself when he saw Stradman’s Aventador sitting unattended in a parking lot. He hopped up onto the hood and posed for a picture, which he then uploaded to Instagram and even tagged the YouTuber in it. Obviously, Stradman didn’t see the humor in this and called out the vandal in his video on February 23. In the upload, he revealed the prankster ended up deleting the photo and apologized while offering to send over $500 for damages, but then reuploaded the image as his Instagram profile picture just days later. While taking a picture on the hood of a car might seem like a harmless prank, there’s actually a lot that can go wrong, such as leaving scratches on the paint, and misaligning the parts, among other things. “Some juvenile delinquent decided he needed to take a photo standing on top of my Lamborghini,” Stradman explained. “And then, he had the audacity to post it on Instagram, as you do, and he tagged me.” In his inspection for damage, he didn’t find anything too egregious, but he still called out the perpetrator and explained that a lot more could have gone wrong. “Recently in the news, there were three kids caught standing on a Ferrari California and they cost $6,000 in damage,” he said. “When I was in high school, I didn’t have $6,000 and those kids are liable for that. Luckily, the kid here in Utah there’s no damages, so he’s kind of off the hook.” (Quotes begin at 1:00) All things considered, the vandal got off quite light since he didn’t end up causing any sort of major damage. Based on what happened with the Ferrari, he’s extremely lucky he doesn’t have to shell out any money. Stradman says he won’t be seeking any payment, and hopefully, his words will prevent anybody else out there from standing on the hood of a car for clout.

  • TheStradman reveals the next supercars he plans to buy – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals the next supercars he plans to buy YouTube: TheStradmanCar YouTuber TheStradman has revealed that he’s struggling to decide which supercar he plans on buying next – with a choice between three seriously impressive vehicles making his life a little harder. TheStradman has already had an enviable collection of cars throughout his life, including a Lamborghini Aventador, a 1982 Rolls Royce limousine and a Ferrari 430, but his love for cars clearly goes beyond just owning them. The content creator may never be content with the cars he has, with a Pokemon-Master-ethos of attempting to catch them all. He’s driven more supercars than many of us will ever even see, but now he’s faced with the tough decision of which one he wants next. Giving viewers the list of what he wants, he says: “I know this is an eclectic group of cars, but: Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, a Lamborghini Urus or a Lamborghini Countach, one of those will be my next cars.” As Stradman says, this is definitely an eclectic mix of vehicles, with the Countach’s exotic sport style a decent contrast to the Urus SUV, but owning either is a dream of any car collector. He has also mentioned in the past that the Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe is his personal dream car, or at least one that he feels he has to own at some point, but maybe he thinks he can save that for further down the line. (Timestamp 7:18 for mobile viewers) The YouTuber goes on to mention what he might do with the cars if he got them. The Urus, he says, he’ll go for a “crazy wide-body, off-roading, lifted kit, light bars,” whereas with the Rolls he would go for a simple purple wrap with white wheels. The Countach, he says, would probably break and he would “try to fix it and go bankrupt,” so it may be more of a challenge than if he got the Urus or the Rolls Royce. Whichever one he chooses, there’s no doubt Stradman will be the envy of everyone who sees him. These are jaw-dropping cars that will turn heads wherever he goes – but he’s probably used to that by now.

  • TheStradman reveals the “craziest” car mod for 2020 Toyota Supra – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals the “craziest” car mod for 2020 Toyota Supra TheStradman: YouTubeCar YouTuber TheStradman showed off his “craziest” car mod yet for his 2020 Toyota Supra. The Utah-based YouTuber was extremely excited to show off his new mod for his Supra, but he certainly went a bit far by calling it something “no one expected.” It’s no surprise Stradman is a big fan of the color purple, so when he revealed he was getting custom seats of that color for his Supra, fans could see it coming from a mile away. The seats, which he tore open inside his house with a giant smile on his face, were embroidered with his name and he said this is actually the best thing he’s ever shown off on his channel. “We have done some epic stuff on the channel,” he said. “I think this right here might be the most epic customized thing.” (Quote begins at 3:15) He revealed that there’s even an image of his dog on the sides, albeit a lot less noticeable than his name. The seats themselves are super lightweight, which, in the grand scheme of things, will only really help out in the installation process. Although they don’t exactly match the interior of his Supra, he says that they will help set the car apart from others. Unfortunately for fans, they don’t get to actually see him install them in the video, so they will have to wait for one in the future to see how it can be done. You can rest assured that he’ll definitely be showing viewers what the chairs look like in his ride considering how excited he about the customization. It’s nice to see something go right for Stradman considering his video just before this one was him calling out a vandal who stood on the roof of his Lamborghini and leaving minor scratches behind. He decided not to press any charges, but who knows if the same would be said to anybody who decides to mess with his new custom seats.

  • TheStradman reveals insane conversion of his Lamborghini Gallardo – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals insane conversion of his Lamborghini Gallardo YouTube: TheStradmanWhile twin-turbocharging a Lamborghini is nothing new, it is refreshing to see it done a little differently. YouTuber TheStradman has revealed his own personal twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo build, and it’s a stunner. With so many turbo-converted Lamborghinis on YouTube, it’s possible to become a little desensitized to just how awesome they are. Thankfully, TheStradman has chosen to go a little old-school with his build, basing it upon a Lamborghini Gallardo rather than the more common Aventador or Huracan. Built upon his orange Lamborghini Gallardo, the conversion has been carried out by B-rogue built in Chicago, IL and the result of the hard work is absolutely gorgeous. View this post on Instagram An art form on wheels Converting a naturally-aspirated V12 engine is no mean feat, but the team at B-rogue seem to have turned it into an art form. Custom pie-cut exhausts sit centre stage, while burnt titanium exhaust tips give the rear of the car a flair that is missing when it rolled out of the factory. Evidently excited by the prospect of the car nearing completion, TheStradman tells viewers that he “can’t help but smile … I’ve missed this car so, so much.” Starting the car up, the insanely aggressive Lamborghini V10 sound is immediately apparent, though unfortunately, the car couldn’t be revved to the limiter. This is due to the turbos needing to be ‘broken in’ for around 100 miles, after which their full potential can be exploited. Clip starts at 08:11 The build had been severely delayed due to outside influences that affected parts suppliers and even Lamborghini themselves. Thankfully it is now back on track, with TheStradman saying he expects it to be on the road “around October 8, give or take.” Summing up the build so far, he calls the twin-turbo setup “mesmerizing.. a piece of art!” To ensure the artwork remains on display, the plan is to create a one-off clear rear bumper section to showcase the stunning twin-turbo pipework and setup. Hopefully the finished result will be worth the wait; With only a few weeks left to go, there will likely be more updates on TheStradman’s channel as the build nears completion.

  • TheStradman reveals how his new Corvette C8 has already been damaged – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals how his new Corvette C8 has already been damaged YouTube: TheStradmanPopular car YouTuber TheStradman has revealed how, after one day of owning a Chevrolet Corvette C8, he has already suffered vandalism to his new set of wheels. Like many other cars focused YouTubers, TheStradman has a wide selection of vehicles that he makes videos around – be it because he’s taken them for a few laps around a track, thrown on some modifications, or wanted to present a mini Top Gear-inspired review of his vehicle. Just like plenty of other car fanatics, the popular content creator – who has over 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube – took delivery of a brand-new Corvette C8 and quickly moved to show it off to his legion of fans. However, one thing had already gone wrong as he had suffered some minor damage right off the bat. In his new video, TheStradman had been taking his newly delivered vehicle for a spin but before he got behind the wheel, he noted that things hadn’t got off to the best of starts. “I can’t believe this has actually happened, day one of C8 Corvette ownership, somebody has already ‘vandalized’ the car,” he said, zooming his camera in on the back of the car and noting how someone had “ripped” his temporary tag and broke his license plate frame. Though the damage was pretty minor, and it wasn’t like somebody had damaged a wing mirror or wheels, it was enough for the police to get involved – with the YouTuber heading back to his dealership in order to get things figured out. With the old plate reported as stolen, TheStradman managed to get a new temporary tag fitted so that he could get back on the road, as he headed down to Miami, Florida on a 15-hour drive. Thankfully for the YouTuber, his car managed to survive a night without any further damage and kept the new temporary plates in place. As his ownership of the car continues, TheStradman will more than likely have some pretty neat ideas up his sleeve for customization so we’ll just have to wait and see what he does next.

  • TheStradman reveals how he broke his Ferrari F430 Challenge – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals how he broke his Ferrari F430 Challenge YouTube: TheStradmanPopular car YouTuber TheStradman has revealed how he broke his Ferrari F430 Challenge after trying to break a time record at one of his local tracks. TheStradman is one of YouTube’s most popular car content creators having attracted almost 2.5 million subscribers to his channel – with his uploads regularly clocking in at around a million views. After taking a break from the platform prior to the new year, TheStradman has since returned to making regular content around his incredible collection of cars. However, one of his most impressive, the Ferrari F430 challenge, looks set for a spell in a garage after he pushed it to its limit and proceeded to break it during a recent track day. In his video showing off his attempts at breaking the local track record, TheStradman took his supercar to the very edge – and even managed to push it over the top by spinning out during one lap. Yet, that wasn’t the reason behind the damage. Instead, he’d just gone too hard for a few laps. “I think I’ve broken the Ferrari,” he said when he took back out for a few more laps. “I’m in second gear, my foot is to the floor, and the RPMs don’t want to go up. I’ve broken the car, this is not good. Too many spins, I think the transmission is overheating right now.” The YouTuber was able to limp to the finish line and explained that he was going to give up on his attempt to break the record – but would only be returning once he’d assessed the damage and fitted a spoiler. Timestamp for mobile viewers of 11:50 However, he would be able to get it home and checked. “I’m pretty sure I blew the trans. Power above like 4,000/5,000 RPMs is non-existent,” he added, before noting that it could be a fuel issue too. Either way, getting something fixed on the Ferrari isn’t going to be cheap so fans might be waiting a little while to see it back on the road.

  • TheStradman reveals his crazy new house design with “excessive” features – Dexerto

TheStradman reveals his crazy new house design with “excessive” features YouTube: TheStradmanPopular YouTuber TheStradman has revealed his “excessive” new house design that is set to come equipped with a 12-car garage when he eventually gets around to building it. As car specific YouTubers amass a wide collection of vehicles, it becomes a little bit difficult – and costly – to keep them all locked up and safe. Take Manny Khoshbin for example, he revealed that his stunning garage costs around $180,000 per year, and that’s without the initial building cost. For TheStradman though, he’s been trying to build a new house and garage on a sport of open land for quite some time now. His first plans were rejected by the city council in Utah, and he’s had to go back to the drawing board and come up with different ideas. During his June 20 video, the YouTuber revealed his ‘2.0’ plans for a new house, which are pretty different. “It’s a re-design, it’s still a similar concept, 12-car garage, but instead of a two-bedroom apartment, it’s a 5,000 square foot house,” the YouTuber revealed. “Which, is way overly excessive, it’s way more than I need. Some day for resale it will be good,” he added, before revealing some of the 3D rendings that had been mocked up on his computer – noting that there is some pretty interesting architecture planned for the design. Though, nothing is set for the inside just yet. Timestamp of 7:00 Stradman continued, stating that if everything goes to plan, he’d move into the house at the end of next summer. However, he’s still got to jump through a few hoops – including getting the right builders, backing from the bank, and permits from his city council. All of that could take him up to around November or December, so as the process continues, fans will just have to keep an eye on his channel for any new updates that he provides.

  • TheStradman explains why he’s buying a Tesla Model Y – Dexerto

TheStradman explains why he’s buying a Tesla Model Y Tesla / Instagram: thestradmanPopular car YouTuber TheStradman has explained why he’s decided “join the smuggery” and add a Tesla Model Y to his ever-growing collection of vehicles. The Tesla Model Y releases in March 2020 and is based on the Model 3 sedan platform, albeit a little chunkier than its predecessor. It’s somewhat of a middle-ground between the Model 3 and the Model X, cars that TheStradman has been vehemently against throughout his time on YouTube. But, he may now be changing his mind on Elon Musk’s brainchild, after placing a preorder for one despite his previous rants against Tesla and their “smug” owners. Stradman, grinning as he explains what’s going on, says “Boys, I’m doing it. I have made fun of Tesla owners and their smuggery and their silly license plates for so long, and now I’m joining the smuggery.” Opting for the Performance edition, the purchase price comes in at $60,990 before selecting customization options, which is definitely on the more affordable end of the scale as far as Tesla products go. However, after adding auto-pilot and black and white interiors to the vehicle, it costs a total of $68,990. Explaining why he’s opting for the Model Y – and not the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe like he wanted – Stradman says that his dog, Oskar, drools so much, that getting a Rolls Royce as his “daily driver” might not be the best choice. As such, the brand new Tesla model is a perfect fit for his pup. While buying a new Tesla may seem a little excessive in this scenario, it does make sense: after all, if you’re going to spend money on a car such as the Rolls Royce Phantom, you really don’t want the interior ending up covered in drool. The Rolls Royce usually costs upward of $250,000, which makes the $70,000 cost of the Tesla Model Y look absolutely meager in comparison, especially when it will mainly be used to get Oskar from A to B. He also explains that while he’s getting the Model Y for now, it will be a good introduction to electric cars before his Tesla Cybertruck arrives in 2022 – and possibly a Tesla Roadster in the meantime.

  • TheStradman explains why he bought a 1982 Rolls Royce Limo – Dexerto

TheStradman explains why he bought a 1982 Rolls Royce Limo TheStradman – YouTubePopular car YouTuber TheStradman recently picked up a 1982 Rolls Royce Limo for himself – here’s why. Many people buy used cars rather than new since the price difference can be quite shocking, and it’s always good to save a bit of money where you can. In TheStradman’s February 15 video, he explained he was going to pick up a used car without even seeing the condition first – a very dangerous route to take, but for the sake of content, Stradman decided it was worth the risk. He also clarified that it won’t be his car for long, as he’ll be giving it away within the next week. The 1982 Rolls Royce Silver Spur Limitless sounds like it was a spur of a moment pickup, but he sounded excited about it nonetheless. The YouTuber even calls it the best purchase of his life. “I think it’s safe to say with no hesitation and absolutely zero reservation this is the single greatest purchase of my entire life,” he said after driving the car. Amusingly, after he drove it for a while, he noticed the Rolls Royce’s odometer didn’t work, so there was no real way to tell how many miles were on the decades-old car. After gassing it up and bringing it back home, he stepped onto his roof to take a picture of his car collection, and explained how the limo gives the collection some much-needed flair. (Quotes begin at 3:14) “You have to admit that is amazing,” he says. “Rolls Royce, it just adds a little bit of class to the collection that we didn’t have.” Near the end of the video, though, he did seem to question why he’d made the sudden decision to buy the car. “I’m not really sure what I was thinking,” he said. “At the time, when I paid for this car, it seemed like a good idea in theory, and now that it’s here in the garage … the entire garage smells like it’s in 1982.” He then compared it to the smell of a grandparent’s house, calling it old and musty. Luckily for him, the Rolls Royce will not be sticking around for long if he does go through with his plans to get rid of it.

  • TheStradman explains why Bill Gates’ Porsche “blows Tesla out the water” – Dexerto

TheStradman explains why Bill Gates’ Porsche “blows Tesla out the water” Instagram: thestradman / PorscheCar YouTuber TheStradman has hinted at selling his Tesla Model Y before it even arrives – explaining why Bill Gates’ Porsche Taycan Turbo S “blows it out of the water.” The upcoming Tesla model is similar to the ever-popular Tesla Model 3, a compact-SUV vehicle that is seen as a more affordable option in comparison to the X and S models, and deliveries are expected to begin in the USA between March 15-30. Despite the excitement surrounding the upcoming electric vehicle, TheStradman posted a video titled “Selling my Tesla Model Y before it arrives,” in which he drives the Taycan for the first time and is completely blown away. Starting the video by testing out the new Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Stradman is clearly impressed with its insane acceleration, not to mention that it’s a beautiful car. Although, he says that since it starts at $185,000, he doesn’t “think there will be one in the garage any time soon.” He then adds: “I love Tesla, don’t get me wrong, I have a Tesla Model Y on order, but Tesla fanboys… I hate to break it to you, Porsche has just blown everything out of the water.” The Taycan boasts 750hp, speeds of 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and a moonroof that Stradman is clearly a huge fan of – and it does look like an incredible ride. Of course, Stradman isn’t the only one to take a liking to the Taycan – Bill Gates explained why he opted for Porsche’s masterpiece over a Tesla, citing the range on it to be more convincing than that of the Tesla. This is something Tesla founder Elon Musk responded to, seemingly not impressed with Gates’ choice, adding that his conversations with Gates in the past have been “underwhelming.” The price difference between the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Tesla Model Y (starting price of $39,000) is staggering, which definitely helps to explain why Stradman and Gates believe the car to be so much better, so you have to give the cheaper option the benefit of the doubt in this comparison. It’s possible that TheStradman isn’t actually selling his new Tesla before it even arrives, especially since he admits himself that the Taycan simply isn’t an affordable option right now. However, don’t be surprised if you see him whipping the Porsche about in another video sooner or later, as you can clearly tell he’s desperate to get his hands on one.

TheStradman calls out WhistlinDiesel over destroying vehicles for views YouTube: TheStradman/WhistlinDieselUS-based YouTuber and supercar owner TheStradman has given us a full run-down of his current projects, an update on his Ferrari 458 Italia build, and seemingly fires back at Whistlindiesel in his latest video. With everything going on in the world at the moment, a number of TheStradman’s builds have been noticeably absent from his channel recently. The monster 6×6 build and the twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo, in particular, have been very quiet, so it seems fitting that we’ve had a garage update. It turns out that the twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo is further along than many would’ve imagined, having been at the B-Rogue Built shop having its custom twin-turbocharger setup designed and fitted. In his latest video, the popular YouTuber gave fans an update on whats going on with his cars while also responding to the Whistlindiesel Instagram drama. Stradman’s response to Whistlindiesel Instagram drama Speaking about his Rolls-Royce limousine, TheStradman seems to make a jab at Whistlindiesel following their beef on Instagram. He says “a lot of you guys are telling me I should just destroy the Rolls Royce, I should blow it up… that’s just not my style, to blow up a cool car just for YouTube views.” With even his followers noticing that he’s “calling out” Whistlindiesel, it’ll be interesting to see if WD uses this opportunity to bite back, or whether the drama will simply fizzle out as quickly as it started. As for his Lambo, TheStradman is actually flying out to Chicago to film a first cold start video with the Gallardo and to see progress on the build, with the car now at the tuning stage of the process. The Gladiator 6×6 build has also been progressing along in the background, though it has been delayed due to unexpected factors and is on track to be finished around mid-October all being well. The Ferrari 458 is on the chopping block His latest garage addition, the Ferrari 458 Italia, is also going under the knife. Having bought a $30,000 pre-owned Liberty Walk wide-body kit, TheStradman is now going to cut up the Ferrari and modify it with a new exhaust, wheels, and improved stance to complement the rest of his fleet. Apparently undeterred by the delays, TheStradman says that “the reincarnation of (the) purple army in 2021 is going to be like nothing the world has ever seen” which has us expecting big things from the Utah-based YouTuber.

When driving supercars and exotic vehicles form a part of your daily life, it’s easy to get disillusioned with just how special these cars are. Thankfully for Matt Farah of TheSmokingTire, he has a number of old-school retro performance cars to benchmark against, including a gorgeous Lamborghini Countach. It may come as a surprise then, to discover that one of his favorite cars is the humble Volkswagen Golf GTI. Priced around the $37,000 mark, Farah was full of praise for the plucky little hatchback, saying “no matter what you drive, you can always come back to a Golf GTI.” Matt Farah reviews the MK7.5 Golf GTI So what is it about the sub-$40k car that makes it rank so highly? Matt explains that it’s a number of factors that all come together to make the Golf so good: “Circling back to this [after driving so many other cars] it feels good to be sitting here.” Despite its impressive performance credentials, the Golf is still fundamentally a family car. This means that the controls are all very light and easy to use, but that does present issues when going “light-to-light” in urban environments. Other than the one minor issue, Farah had plenty of compliments for the hatch. The Limited-slip diff in the front kept the car in line with no torque steer, while the adaptive suspension lets the GTI “shine” on mixed surfaces, such as when traveling over highway expansion joints. He calls the 2.0l TSi engine “functional, rather than inspiring” but then goes on to admit the Golf is “legitimately fast, it is quick. It could probably take a Ferrari 355 on a highway entrance ramp!” It’s also dependable, being “always right there when you need it.” Thanks to the ‘slow’ evolution of the Golf, Matt says that “after all this time, after driving so many cars, you come back to [the GTI] and go wow… they really nailed this didn’t they!” There is plenty more commendation for the interior too, with the steering wheel feel, driving position, ergonomics and seats are all spot on. Summing up, Farah said “Even after driving some very expensive luxury cars, I come back and sit in this and go this is nice. It feels well-made, and it’s more of a luxury experience than other hatchbacks.” “Never die GTI, you rule!”

  • The Weeknd’s $3m car collection is fitting for a music icon – Dexerto

The Weeknd’s $3m car collection is fitting for a music icon YouTube: The WeekndThe Weeknd is one of the standout musicians of this generation, with several number-one hits. It turns out true to his music, he loves fast cars, and his car collection is enough to make anyone jealous. One of the standout lines from Abel Makkonen ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye’s number-one single ‘Starboy’ is “we don’t pray for love, we just pray for cars.” It seems that the Weeknd got what he was asking for, as his garage reads like an A-list gathering of exotic cars. From supercars to luxury vehicles, the Weeknd’s car collection is certainly one to be jealous of; We’ve picked out some of the highlights for you to enjoy. The Weeknd’s supercar collection Many fans wondered if the McLaren P1 he sings about in Starboy is his. Well, it turns out he does indeed own the orange McLaren P1 seen in the video. This $1.2 million, 903hp hypercar forms part of the ‘holy trinity’ of hypercars, along with the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918. Clearly, the P1 is Abel’s favorite of the trio, as it found a place inside his incredible custom-built, mirror-floored garage. Alongside his P1, he also owns another outlandish supercar – a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. This extravagant Lamborghini packs 690hp from its naturally-aspirated V12 engine. Costing over $517,000 the SVJ is one of the most extreme road-going Lamborghinis ever made. Abel Tesfaye’s exotic cars As well as his enviable garage of supercars, The Weeknd also has a number of luxurious ‘exotic’ vehicles to complement his brash, visceral performance car collection. One particular highlight is his Bentley Mulsanne. This ultra-plush ride is equally suited to driving and being driven in. Costing just over $300,000, it is likely that The Weeknd’s Mulsanne is blue, judging by the line “I’m in the blue Mulsanne bumping New Edition” in the song Starboy. Alongside the Bentley, he also reportedly owns an AMG G63. A typical celebrity’s car, the G63 blends off-road performance with incredible power from its twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 577hp. He also apparently has a love for the more ‘retro’ things in life too, as Abel reportedly owns a classic 1980’s Porsche 911. While exact details on this car aren’t clear, there’s no doubt it looks stunning sat next to his modern collection. While his collection isn’t the biggest, nor the most expensive at around the $3m mark, it’s fair to say anyone would be envious. He clearly loves his cars, as he sings about them often enough!

  • The Stradman blown away by “ridiculous” $100,000 Jeep Wrangler 6×6 – Dexerto

The Stradman blown away by “ridiculous” $100,000 Jeep Wrangler 6×6 South Florida Jeep/TheStradmanAuto YouTuber ‘TheStradman’ got a firsthand look at a massive, $100,000 6×6 Jeep Wrangler that seems like something taken directly out of HALO. Custom cars are nothing new, but the six-wheeled monsters Stradman tested from South Florida Jeep are on an entirely different level. As soon as the American pulled into the lot he seemed amazed by the beastly vehicle, which even commanded the parking lot from where it was sitting. Stradman, who’s building his own 6×6 Jeep Gladiator in the next few months, admitted to viewers he had never even been inside one before going down to Florida. “That thing is ridiculous, it’s fast too!” the auto YouTuber said as the six-wheeler barreled past him. “This is a hybrid 6×6, that is ridiculously cool. The wow factor this thing has on the road, that is insanity.” Six wheels mean the truck needs three powered axles to drive them all, but only two of these axles are powered by the engine, with the rear one relying on an electric motor driven by a huge battery bank behind the back seat. This technically does make it a hybrid, but there wasn’t any mention of the gas mileage one could expect for a vehicle that looks more like a tank than it does a regular Jeep. “I have never in my entire life seen a truck or a Jeep with more road presence than this,” TheStradman admitted. “The proportions of this 6×6 are perfection. There are a lot of 6×6’s that honestly don’t look very good, like they have a tumor on the back end. This looks almost factory.” No doubt, wherever one of these things goes, they’re going to turn heads – but the monsters start out at $100,000, and you have to wait a month after ordering to get it. But for Stradman, the wait is well worth it to flex on everyone else in a regular, four-wheeled car – even if that car is a Lamborghini. “We got the Range Rover and the Lamborghini Urus right there, they look like little baby cars,” he said while rolling around in the 6×6. “Could you guys imagine if you spent $220,000 on a Lamborghini Urus, you’re walking back to your car, trying to flex hard, and this is parked next to you?” The 6×6 mods Stradman took out in Florida were both based on a Jeep Wrangler chassis, while the one he’s ordering is being built off of the new Jeep Gladiator. Exactly how tricked out and customized his own six-wheeler will be remains to be seen, but based on his other rides, it will probably be over the top, with plenty of purple both inside and out.

  • The insane tech inside GMC’s new $100,000 Hummer EV pickup – Dexerto

The insane tech inside GMC’s new $100,000 Hummer EV pickup YouTube: Doug DeMuroWhen GM announced that the next Hummer was going to be electric, few believed them. Fast forward to 2020, and the all-new Hummer is indeed fully electric, and packed to the brim with crazy technology, as YouTuber Doug DeMuro discovered. Electric vehicles (EVs) are all the rage at the moment. With the state of California announcing the ban of combustion-engined (petrol & diesel) cars from 2035 and the entire country of England doing the same, the race is on for manufacturers to bring EVs to the masses. While GM’s new Hummer isn’t aimed at the masses – since it starts at $100,000 – it is a massive step for the company. It becomes even more significant when you realize precious Hummers were gas-guzzling behemoths, though this one isn’t exactly small. Doug DeMuro reviews the 2020 Hummer EV YouTuber Doug DeMuro is no stranger to reviewing prototype vehicles, and that’s exactly what he has his hands on for his October 29 video. While he was unable to drive the Hummer on the open road, he still got to delve deep into the interesting tech and design of the new EV. With an all-electric range of 350 miles, the Hummer is ideal for everyday driving. Coupled with an ever-increasing EV charging network, and the possibility of an electric-only lifestyle becomes very real indeed. Features of the 2020 Hummer EV The light bar on the front of the Hummer is instantly recognizable, but its coolest element is initially hidden. When plugged in to charge, the light bar turns into a battery charge gauge, showing just how much charge is in the battery. Inside, the interior is firmly rooted in 21st-century design, and represents a “big departure from anything else on the market today.” Screens adorn the cabin, with the instrument cluster and infotainment being a fully-digital affair. The rear window of the Hummer can be lowered, while there are plenty of hidden storage compartments throughout. These are especially useful in the summer, as it allows drivers to park with the windows down, without their valuables being on show. Not only does the back window roll down, but the entire roof comes off. Called the ‘sky view roof’ the roof comes off into four components, leaving just a roll bar and the windows. Power for the Hummer EV comes from three electric motors, which result in mind-boggling performance. According to GM, a performance version will be coming that will hit 60mph in less than three seconds. That’s always impressive, but even more so given the size and squared-off shape of the truck. The first ‘Edition 1’ models are all spoken for, with deliveries aiming to begin during fall 2021. With numerous other variants confirmed by GM, it will be interesting to see how widely-adopted the Hummer EV becomes.

Featured on the iconic West Coast Customs channel, this GT-R is a long way from how it left the factory. With a custom FaZe-themed wrap, new wheels, and custom interior matching the design of the outside, this is one serious ride. Assuming the engine has remained stock, the GT-R puts out an impressive 485bhp from its twin-turbo V6, with the power going to all four wheels. Faze Rain Adapt isn’t the only member of the FaZe Clan to have a supercar. Rain also has his own high-performance car in the form of his black McLaren 570s. In complete contrast to the McLaren is his other car – a Tesla Model X. This all-electric SUV is perfect for cruising around in silence, but is still cool enough and certainly fast enough to make it the envy of many other YouTubers. Clearly the members of FaZe Clan like to go fast AND be eco-conscious. Not only does Megga own a Tesla, but so does fellow clan member FaZe Blaze, who also owns a Tesla Model 3. FaZe Rug FaZe Rug has owned a number of cool cars over the years, but currently owns a Mercedes-AMG G Wagon, which was recently ‘destroyed’ as part of a prank. Having admitted his want for a Rolls-Royce Phantom, it may only be a matter of time before we see him add one to his garage. FaZe Clan team cars While a number of the members have individual rides, there is also a ‘team’ car for the FaZe members. Their custom Nissan Armada wrapped in FaZe colors has been spotted a number of times at press events. Long-time FaZe followers will also remember the customized Lincoln Navigator that they had back in New York City, but that is now long-gone.

  • The Fast Lane Car YouTubers explain why Tesla Model Y will “flop” – Dexerto

The Fast Lane Car YouTubers explain why Tesla Model Y will “flop” TeslaThe Fast Lane Car YouTubers are never afraid to put their opinions out there, and in an episode of their series “No, You’re Wrong!” the duo has explained why they think the Tesla Model Y is going to “flop.” In prior episodes, they’ve argued for and against self-driving technology, lifting Subarus and the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, and now they’ve focused in on Elon Musk’s upcoming, highly anticipated electric car, the Tesla Model Y. The Model Y is set to join the Model X, Model 3 and Model S in Tesla’s revolutionary line of electric vehicles, but not everybody is convinced by its ability to make sales like the other models have. That’s where The Fast Lane Car focus their discussion, with Nathan and Andre arguing the pros and cons of the Tesla Model Y – with an overarching narrative that seems to suggest the car is destined to fail. “It’s a Model 3 with a high roof,” Nathan says, clearly believing that it doesn’t do enough to separate itself from other Tesla models – or indeed, other manufacturer’s vehicles. “There’s one really important thing that I think is going to fly in its face,” he continues, saying that the Mustang Mach-E may be a huge competitor to the Model Y, while Andre adds that the Toyota RAV4 hybrid offers a much more affordable alternative to the Tesla. While Nathan agrees that it’s a well-made vehicle, he believes that in buying it you’re getting a car that “really is basically a Model 3.” He goes on to say that, in his opinion, the car is just a “rich toy” and they “haven’t yet dropped to the point where it can be affordable for everybody.” So, while the Tesla Model Y is bound to see a fair few sales in its opening months, The Fast Lane Car believes it’s not quite destined for glory.

  • TGE’s twin explains why he’s selling prized Porsche 911 Turbo S – Dexerto

TGE’s twin explains why he’s selling prized Porsche 911 Turbo S Instagram: je_ldnmCar YouTuber Tom ‘TGE TV’ Exton has explained why his twin brother James is planning to sell his Porsche 911 Turbo S, despite admitting that he loves the car and thinks he will regret doing so. For many, the idea of owning a Porsche 911 enters the territory of “dream cars,” with the Turbo S edition available as a sportier and faster version of the base sports car. James’ version of the car is a rare version too, complete with the full aero kit and a full carbon interior and a special set of side skirts that he claims he has “never seen on another 911.” Despite him admitting that it is “the best spec available,” and that he doesn’t really want to, he plans on selling the vehicle and picking up something new, explaining his reasoning while appearing in a video with his twin brother. After giving viewers a guided tour of the vehicle, TGE admitted it was time to get down to the real reason he was there, finding out “why on earth” his brother is selling his Porsche 911 Turbo S, even after repeatedly claiming that he thinks whatever car he purchases next will disappoint him. “I know it sounds ridiculous, but I don’t even know the reason,” James explained. “Other than the fact I’ve had the car for over a year, we do a fancy trip to Monaco where we drive over the mountains, and I fancy doing it in something different this year. There’s not a realistic chance of having [the 911 Turbo S] and an additional car, because I don’t use this much as is.” “I like change, I fancy a change. I know that sounds ridiculous. It might be the case that I think ‘actually, I’m going mad,’ but as you’ve done, when you like a car you can return to it. I can still experience the Turbo S again if I want it. ” In terms of what’s next for James, he isn’t currently sure what he’ll pick up but thinks he won’t lose any money on selling his Porsche considering he’s looked after it so well. TGE’s brother did hint at the possibility of picking up two cars with the money he makes back from selling it, but didn’t reveal any models that he has his eye on.

  • TGE TV unveils his rare $1 million Porsche Carrera GT hypercar – Dexerto

TGE TV unveils his rare $1 million Porsche Carrera GT hypercar TGE TV, YouTubePopular car YouTuber Thomas George, who runs the TGE TV channel, has given fans a first-look at the newest set of wheels added to his collection. That’s right, he’s finally a Porsche Carrera GT owner. The internet personality finds a way of juggling both content creation and investment banking on a weekly basis, pulling in thousands of videos each time he uploads to his channel – which boasts an impressive 196,000 subscribers at the time of writing. Thomas has put out a number of videos in the past featuring impressive vehicles, whether it be a 2020 Mercedes AMG GT, a McClaren P1, or something a little less flashy like a Range Rover. However, flashy was definitely the look he was going for in his March 17 video, after revealing he had finally went out and bought himself a brand-spanking Porsche Carrera GT – showing it off at the Good Wood Motor Circuit, which was apparently his for the day. According to Autotrader, this type of car can be priced anywhere between $700,000 to $1 million, depending on the seller and condition. It’s a car he’s wanted for a long time, too, revealing it had been a 15-year wait to get to this point. Now that he could finally get his hands on it, the YouTuber revealed something interesting about the design of the one he chose. He said: “This is actually a very rare spec. The color on this car is jet black. It is a UK car in jet black, one of only two examples – I believe,” before joking that people in the comments may prove him wrong. (For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 1:01) “The majority of black GT Carreras you see are actually a basalt black, which is a metallic fleck. It’s almost a dark gray in sunlight. This is a solid black, a very very rare color.” George then decided to take viewers all around the car, giving everybody watching a closer look at different features. He added: “Around the back of the car then, all very standard stuff as this car is completely stock, as a Carrera GT – I think – should be,” before revealing one thing he did decide to customize. The content creator has added the TGE TV registration plate to the new vehicle, which had previously featured on his Lamborghini Aventador. To round things off, he gave a big shoutout to Charles and Dean for helping fund the hypercar, which he says is particularly difficult to do in the current market as many come with a sketchy history. What the future holds for TGE TV and whether or not he will try to top this latest addition with something even more impressive in the future remains to be seen. Until then, we’re sure he’ll have a hell of a time driving his new Porsche.

  • TGE TV reveals how much his 2020 Mercedes AMG GT costs a month – Dexerto

TGE TV reveals how much his 2020 Mercedes AMG GT costs a month TGE TV, YouTubeJust thinking about the cost of owning a 2020 Mercedes AMG GT might be enough to make some buyers not even look into it, but YouTuber Thomas George has revealed an insane VIP deal that the manufacturer is offering and it’s insane how cheap he got one for. The popular internet personality juggles life between investment banking and making content for his loyal fanbase, with over 190,000 people subscribed to his YouTube channel called TGE TV. While previous uploads have included closer looks at his companies and supercars, the co-founder of muscle and fitness brand LDNM decided to focus solely on the AMG GT during a video on January 27 – revealing the astonishingly low deals some people are managing to get the cars for. Now, Tom was very clear right from the outset. These deals he is talking about in the video are not ones that you can drive down to your local Mercedes dealership and haggle for – not at all. They are, instead, exclusively offered to influencers and VIPs. Per the deal that he’s talking about, he is able to drive the car for an unbelievably low monthly fee. Later in the video, though, Tom said that the AMG GT has made such an impression on him, he would even consider buying one without a discounted price. “You’ve got to qualify for it [the deal] and there are obligations on my end to achieve this deal,” he explains, before revealing that the car costs just £699 per month. “Which sounds a lot, but it’s actually not for what this is,” his co-host added. https://youtu.be/pq0C85o68Eg?t=413 By contrast, a 2019 version of the AMG GT would cost around £1,700 per month, according to buyacar. Included in the VIP deal, however, are some other details that he decided to highlight for viewers. Tom added: “So there’s a 10,000 miles a year limit on the finance down. At the end of the 12-month term I will just hand the car back. The list price of the car was £121,000 and with the kind of deal I could discount, contributions and all of the rest of it, it works out about £88,000,” meaning that people taking up this deal are saving over £30,000 as a result. While he could probably sell the vehicle for more than the money he’s invested into it, the businessman confirmed that he does intend to hand the car back after the 12 months – all made possible due to an unbelievable deal not everybody will know about.

  • TGE TV reveals cost of his fully specced 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 – Dexerto

TGE TV reveals cost of his fully specced 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 YouTube: Archie Hamilton[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]Popular cars YouTuber Tom of TGE TV has revealed the price of his brand-new, fully kitted out Porsche 911 Turbo S 992, and it is quite a bit more than the usual list price. Like plenty of other popular car content creators, TGE TV has amassed quite the collection of vehicles. Though, as the world turns, there are plenty of new cars out there to either buy or just get behind the wheel of. For TGE, his newest purchase has come in the form of an all-black Porsche 911 992 Turbo S. Upon taking delivery of the car, he linked up with fellow YouTuber Archie Hamilton to show it off. Though, in his quest to fully kit the sports car out, he’s taken things above and beyond the usual list price of around £155,000. Upon showing off his new purchase, TGE revealed that he had kitted the Porsche out with exclusive lights, wheels, and even carbon fiber wing mirrors. That’s all on top of the different design options on both the inside and outside of the car like seat stitchings and more. Seeing that it’s racked up quite the additional options, Archie asked TGE for a price. “This is £178,000. It’s not going to hold its money that well for the long term,” the YouTuber said. “It’s not going to hold its money, it’s not an investment car, I’m not going to be able to flip it – I’ll keep this for a while,” TGE also added. “You can put some miles on it, you can use it, you can get it out every day.” Even though the car is already pretty kitted out, the YouTuber noted that he does still have some additional plans for changes, so the total cost will only continue to rise. Though, as he said himself, it is something he is looking to keep a hold of for a while, so the total price will likely pay for itself in terms of content and overall enjoyment.

  • TGE explains why he canceled his Mercedes A45S order – Dexerto

TGE explains why he canceled his Mercedes A45S order Instagram: tge_ldnmThe Mercedes A45S is clearly a beautiful car – but YouTuber Thomas ‘TGE TV’ Exton has revealed that he’s made the decision to cancel his order on the German vehicle. While taking a ride with race car driver Archie Hamilton in his edition of the A45S, TGE frequently mentioned how beautiful the car was, and Hamilton reiterated that it’s a really nice drive, especially as a daily if you’re looking for something to use on a regular basis. That makes it all the more bizarre that TGE would decide to cancel his order, but he explained the exact reason in his March 21 YouTube video. After being asked why he canceled by Hamilton, TGE said “Well, you said you wanted one, and I bolted myself up with various orders,” implying that he’s already got a few cars on the way and been a bit generous with his bank account. He also said that he’s got a new Mini GP3 on the way and that it “makes no sense to have two fairly track-focused hot hatches coming,” presumably making the decision to hold on to the Mini – which he’s had on order for two years – instead of the Mercedes. Archie says that his reasoning makes sense, especially if he’s got too many cars on order anyway which, for most, is quite a luxury reason for not buying another car. (Timestamp: 13:21 for mobile viewers) Not many people would opt for a Mini over a Mercedes, but given the circumstances and the fact that he’s had the Mini on order for so long, TGE can’t be blamed for wanting to finally get his hands on it. Needless to say, if he decides that he’s better off with the A45S over a Mini GP3, he’ll make the switch, but it seems he’s content with his decision, especially as the Mini works out a fair bit cheaper than the Merc. The Mini costs around $45,000, while the Mercedes is closer to $60,000, so Exton may actually be making the best play here – though, it’ll be a shame not to see him showing off each.

  • Tesla clip goes viral as it speeds down highway with nobody at the wheel – Dexerto

Tesla clip goes viral as it speeds down highway with nobody at the wheel Facebook: Albert SiplenTesla’s class-leading autopilot system is often in the news for all the wrong reasons. Unfortunately for Musk, he can add another viral video to that list of reasons, as this Tesla driver’s reckless behavior could’ve cost lives. While they may be leading the way in the development of autonomous driving for consumers, car manufacturers Tesla are often in the news for all the wrong reasons. With the company themselves even admitting they’re not quite at the pinnacle of autonomy just yet, their comments sometimes fall on deaf ears, with this driver being a perfect example. The driver of this brand-new Tesla Model X only served to further the bad press about their autopilot systems, with his reckless behavior potentially endangering those around him. Autopilot stunt goes viral In a clip that was originally uploaded to Facebook, this new Tesla Model X owner chose to film his own style of autopilot ‘test.’ Choosing to swap the driver’s seat for the passengers, he films himself riding in the Model X as it flies down the highway at 52mph without anyone in control. While the autopilot system is able to keep the car in a straight line and work with general traffic, it cannot react in the same way humans can to changing environments. With the clip now having been shared to Twitter and going viral with nearly 5 million views on one account alone, many have been quick to condemn the ‘stupid’ drivers actions. One commenter said: “The fact that dude is so willing to test the limits and put his life and other people’s lives in danger is crazy to me.” It’s time to get a Tesla !!!! 🔥🔥😳 pic.twitter.com/e0keWSRANp — BlackCultureEntertainment🗣 (@4TheCulture____) September 28, 2020 Tesla Autopilot lawsuits Others were somewhat less hasty to condemn the driver, saying “I’m torn somewhere between ‘this is amazing, I want one’ and ‘seems like this how I would die’.” Besides the obvious illegality of the driver being in the passenger seat while flying down the freeway, there are a number of other safety factors at play. Tesla themselves have been quick to remind buyers that they are required to keep their hands on the wheel at all times, and remain alert in the driver’s seat while using the autopilot system. They have also had numerous lawsuits around the naming of the system, with prosecutors stating that the name is ‘misleading’ and suggests the ‘autopilot’ system is more advanced than it actually is. Clearly, that wasn’t enough to stop this driver – we’re just glad nobody got hurt.

  • Tesla mega drag race produces surprising results – Dexerto

Tesla mega drag race produces surprising results YouTube: Throttle HouseTesla is renowned for producing some of the fastest, most high-tech electric vehicles (EVs) on the planet. But when you put the entire production range head-to-head, which one will take the crown? With their iPad – like central tablet screen and pollution-free EV drivetrain, Teslas are often hailed as the start of the mass electric vehicle revolution. That doesn’t mean they’re boring though, as shown in this drag race between Teslas’ entire model range shows. In typical Elon Musk style, the model range (Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3) spell out ‘S3XY’ in the right order, much to the amusement of the hosts of the video, Thomas and James from Throttle House. Pitting Teslas head-to-head in a straight line is nothing new, but seeing the entire range battle it out for the crown is fascinating, along with showcasing the comparison between cars with and without the infamous ‘Ludicrous’ drag racing mode. All cheesy ‘S3XY’ jokes aside, these are some incredibly capable performance vehicles, in particular, the Model S and Model X which both benefit from Ludicrous mode. These cars also have the so-called ‘cheetah mode’ which hunches the front of the car down for better weight transfer when launching off the line – perfect for drag racing. In the first race, the cars are launched from a standing start along the test track. While the Model X does well, the Model S flies out ahead and puts several car lengths between itself and the Model X by the time it crosses the finish line. To eliminate the advantage that the launch control and ‘cheetah mode’ settings gave the X and S, the next race was a rolling start. This proved very surprising in its results, as despite the Model S winning once again by a significant margin, the Model X and Model 3 had a photo-finish, with the Model Y only being around half a car length behind. It seems that while the Model S is clearly the winner here; Unless you’re launching from a standing start, there really isn’t much in it. This is especially impressive when you consider the price difference of the Model S performance ($99,900) and the Model 3 performance ($56,990) – for a few seconds difference you’d pay a whopping $42,910 more for the Model S Performance.

  • Tanner Fox wowed after testing speed of electric $250,000 Porsche Taycan – Dexerto

Tanner Fox wowed after testing speed of electric $250,000 Porsche Taycan Tanner Fox YouTubeYouTuber Tanner Fox was absolutely floored after test driving the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, calling the electric vehicle a “rollercoaster” of a machine. Electric cars aren’t only getting more practical, they’re becoming impressive feats of engineering that are starting to pique the interests of petrolheads across the world. It’s cars like the $250,000 Taycan that are turning heads from speed demons to people looking for new kinds of thrills. As someone in the market to grow his collection of cars, Fox stepped into the Porsche that’s been making headlines after Bill Gates purchased the same car, and noted the problems that EV machines are still facing. But the focus of Fox’s breakdown was much more centered around the 0-60 workhorse’s ability to get off the tarmac at blazing speeds. In a warehouse filled with some of the most exotic cars in the world, the Turbo S stood out to catch the YouTuber’s eye. Immediately after getting out of the warehouse, the former pro scooter rider and his team were literally taken back by the Porsche’s power. “I felt the G-force on my face, bro!” Fox said. The takeoff of the care instantly made an impression on his face as his “cheeks were rippling” after launching down the road. That’s because the top-of-the-line model comes equipped with an overboost feature that’s activated with the Turbo S launch control. This lets the car unleash 750 horsepower that thrusts it from 0-60 in just 2.6 seconds. But it’s the car’s acceleration that makes it top out at 161 miles per hour with ease, something that wasn’t lost on Fox. “This car is a rollercoaster,” Fox said. “It’s not like a rollercoaster, it IS a rollercoaster.” As impressed as he was with Porsche’s take on a turbo-electric vehicle, he was equally floored when seeing the price tag on the behemoth. While the car packs a punch where it counts, at the end of the day, Fox probably won’t be adding the car to his personal garage. Even though he didn’t pick up the Porsche, it’s safe to say that the vehicle made a huge impression on Tanner immediately following his test drive of the Taycan Turbo S.

  • Tanner Fox “ruins” his 1000 HP GTR with horrible paint job for Season 3 – Dexerto

Tanner Fox “ruins” his 1000 HP GTR with horrible paint job for Season 3 Tanner Fox – YouTubeYouTuber Tanner Fox celebrated the upcoming launch of Season 3 for his channel by “ruining” his Nissan GTR with a new paint job. Going into 2020, Fox has become sporadic with his updates, uploading just three videos in the first month of the new year. In his January 29 video, he explained that he’s actually been sick with mononucleosis, which he’s been battling for over a week. “I have been so sick in bed for the past week,” he began. “The doctor thinks I have mono. It’s not good. I’ve been puking. I’ve had the flu for the past week, like I’ve said.” (Quote begins at 1:57) To help make up for some of the lost time, he came prepared with the announcement of “Season 3.” However, this reveal came at the expense of his beloved 1,000 horsepower GTR, which he decided to “ruin” with a fresh coat of paint. Read More: Blondie shows off $1.2 mil James Bond Aston Martin Valhalla He grabbed some painting supplies from his local Michaels arts and crafts store, came back home, and spent 25 minutes painting “Season 3” across the side of his car. Although the vehicle can definitely be fixed, it doesn’t look like it’ll be appearing in many more future videos until the bombastic paint job is reverted. Luckily, he has an alternative, as he revealed his new ride will be a Tesla Model 3, which he was able to get after trading in his Model X. As for his schedule going forward, he mentions in his next video that he’ll go more in-depth about what viewers can expect – but promises to be more consistent with his uploads. “Maybe in the next video, I wanna talk about my schedule and how we’re going to be posting a lot more consistently and kinda go into all of that stuff,” he continued. It’s no secret that the key to success on YouTube is having a regular upload schedule, and it’s clear that Fox sees that, himself. In the description of his video, he teases possible collaborations with huge names like Mr Beast and FaZe Rug, so Season 3 very well could end up being his biggest and best yet.

  • Tanner Fox blown away by hypercar collection in Billionaire life swap – Dexerto

Tanner Fox blown away by hypercar collection in Billionaire life swap YouTube: Tanner FoxImagine getting to swap lives with a billionaire’s son, with full access to their house, car collection, and lifestyle. Well, that’s exactly what happened to YouTuber Tanner Fox, who got to experience life behind the wheel of insane multi-million dollar hypercars in his August 28 video. 20-year-old Tanner Fox has experienced some insane things during his career as a YouTuber, but getting behind the wheel of his dream car – The Ferrari LaFerrari – may well be the icing on the cake for this young internet star. As part of his “switching lives with a billionaires son” series, Tanner got to explore the mind-blowing garage of a billionaire. From the incredible Pagani Huayra to the mind-blowing Bugatti Chiron and LaFerrari, this is one garage that would blow away any self-confessed petrolhead. When initially offered the chance to drive the LaFerrari – his dream car – Tanner is completely taken aback and is unsure whether to drive it, saying he “freaked out a little bit”. Eventually, he drove it, giving the young YouTuber an experience he’ll never forget. Tanner gets to drive his “dream car” Given that the LaFerrari is worth around $1.5 million, for the owner to just hand the keys over to Tanner is somewhat of a shock. After getting his head around the fact he’s behind the wheel of a 1000hp hypercar, he ends up racing it against the owner’s Bugatti Chiron on the highway. Clearly, the insanity of this experience isn’t lost on Tanner, who describes himself as being “absolutely speechless” from having the opportunity to drive his dream car. As if being able to drive the LaFerrari wasn’t crazy enough, the next day Tanner is handed the key to the 1500hp, quad-turbocharged Bugatti Chiron Sport worth a cool $3 million as if it was an everyday car. After a quick ‘crash course’ on driving the technical Bugatti, he is given the all-clear to take it out on a “hot lap” of the local area. In traditional Tanner style though, he ends up using the ultra-rare hypercar to impress a ‘stranger’ and replace her Uber to dinner with the Bugatti. Doing what any young, single man would do, Tanner proceeds to try and impress the girl with the power of the Bugatti; Seemingly forgetting that the car isn’t actually his. This tactic does seem to work, as the girl ‘forgets’ about her dinner reservation. Whether the girl is genuinely a stranger or an actress is unclear, but either way, getting to drive several million dollars worth of exotic cars was an incredible experience for Tanner.

  • Syndicate reveals his new “handcrafted” Mercedes AMG GTR – Dexerto

Syndicate reveals his new “handcrafted” Mercedes AMG GTR Life of Tom, YouTubeYouTube star Tom ‘Syndicate’ Cassell finally picked up his new “handcrafted” Mercedes AMG GTR, after an eventful test-drive back in January. Syndicate has amassed an incredible following of over 10 million subscribers across his YouTube channels and is best known for his popular Minecraft and Call of Duty Zombies series. After revealing in his vlog series that he was interested in purchasing a new car, Syndicate had his eyes set on a Mercedes AMG GTR. Unfortunately for the YouTuber, his first test drive of the GTR did not go as smoothly as he hoped, and was even stopped by the police during the process. During his initial test drive with the GTR, he said that he was unsure if he would be able to get his hands on the car due to how long the typical waiting list is. However, despite having some troubles and concerns at the start, Syndicate still felt it was the car for him, and picked it up in his February 28 upload. Topic starts at 15:21 for mobile users. “This is my car now yes! From McDonald’s to Mercedes, let’s go!” he expressed before hopping into his new Merc. After going over all of the details again, the Mercedes dealer explained that the car’s engine was all handcrafted by one person, to Syndicate’s surprise. “The car is manufactured but the engine is built by one person, his last job is to sign that plate and put that plate on,” he revealed, highlighting the small signature. Shortly after pulling out of the dealership, Syndicate revealed that one feature he was quite happy with was that his new car was an automatic compared to some of his previous vehicles such as Audi TT or his Land Rover. The YouTuber spent the rest of his vlog taking in the AMG GTR experience before later showing off his new purchase to his friends and family.

  • Supercars Of London reveals gorgeous $50,000 Lamborghini restoration – Dexerto

Supercars Of London reveals gorgeous $50,000 Lamborghini restoration YouTube: SOL – Supercars Of LondonOwning a supercar is expensive at the best of time, but then restoring, painting, and protecting a supercar adds a mammoth amount to the cost of ownership, as Paul Wallace – SupercarsOfLondon – explains in his latest video. The process of buying and owning a supercar is a ‘bucket list’ item for almost any petrolhead, but few realize the additional costs of restoring and protecting their pride-and-joy. Fresh from a thorough restoration, Paul’s Lamborghini Murcielago enters the final stage of its factory-fresh overhaul at NVN London. Taking us behind the scenes of this high-end facility in London; Paul gives us an inside look at how the super-rich keep their supercars looking their best and how they protect them from everyday dirt, damage, and weather. So clean you could eat your dinner off it Despite being fresh from its $32,000 respray, the paintwork on the Lamborghini needed a full decontamination wash and detail before laying the Paint Protection Film (PPF) over the top of the paintwork. Paul explained the need for this meticulous attention to detail by using an analogy many of us will be familiar with: “Imagine having a speck of dust on your iPhone as you lay a screen protector on; You get this little air bubble [from the dust]” – Should the car have any dirt left on it, it would poke up and cause imperfections in the PPF film. The PPF film is then cut from a custom-made template, before being laid onto the car. With the edges specifically made to ‘tuck’ underneath each panel, the result is a flawless high-gloss finish that improves the paintwork and protects the car. Over 11 months in the making Breaking down the cost in the video, Paul explains that the paintwork alone cost $32,000. Initially starting out as a ‘paint restoration’ he now considers the car to have had so much work done, it qualifies as a full-on restoration project to bring the Murcielago back to factory-fresh spec. Alongside the paintwork, the ‘Murcie’ also received over $15,700 on upgrade and replacement parts, including a whopping 250 man-hours of work. This is in addition to the 500 man-hours of work on the paint alone, bringing the project to a total of around 750 hours of labor. With the total cost hovering around the $50,000 mark, Paul reveals that he may now be looking to sell the Murcielago to fund his next project, stating it is the “right time” to do so. After so many hours and with so much money invested in the car, hopefully, it will be an easy sale for him when the time comes.

  • SupercarBlondie & Sergi make perfect breakfast using just a Rolls-Royce – Dexerto

SupercarBlondie & Sergi make perfect breakfast using just a Rolls-Royce YouTube: Supercar BlondieIn a slight deviation from the usual car review-style content, Supercar Blondie and co-star Sergi venture out into the culinary world for their August 25 video, showing viewers how to make perfect ‘Rolls-Royce eggs’. Taking lead on this video, Sergi showed us how he cooks eggs using a Rolls-Royce to make the ‘perfect’ breakfast for Supercar Blondie and her furry friend. Being in the desert in Dubai, the sun is incredibly hot throughout the day, meaning the paintwork of the car heats up quickly and stays hot until the sun goes down. No cooker? No problem The hood of this Rolls Royce became so hot in fact, that Sergi had to use oven gloves to open it safely. Having cracked the eggs into a makeshift foil ‘pan’ he then placed them upon the warm block of the Rolls-Royce’s V12 engine. While the eggs cook, he utilized the extreme heat of the Dubai sun to make the accompanying toast for the meal, by simply placing a slice of bread onto the extremely hot black paintwork of the RR’s hood. You’d be forgiven for thinking this is some of the least-technical cooking ever seen on YouTube, but apparently there’s an art to making the perfect eggs with the engine of a Rolls-Royce. According to Sergi, it takes precisely 6.5 revs of the engine to cook them to Supercar Blondie’s liking. As a testament to the extreme heat of the desert sun, in the mere few moments that it took for Sergi to rev the car 6.5 times, the toast on the hood had burnt completely on the side facing down. The eggs did in fact cook perfectly thanks to the heat of the engine and a precise 6.5 revs. You can see that the whites are completely cooked and the yolks look somewhat runny. Despite the ruined toast, Sergi did try presenting the breakfast to Supercar Blondie, but it didn’t exactly go down well – evidently, it hadn’t been precisely 6.5 revs of cooking time. Sometimes it’s just easier to use a cooker or even a microwave, even though it is less exciting.

  • SuperCarBlondie explains why the 2020 Ford GT is ridiculously exclusive – Dexerto

SuperCarBlondie explains why the 2020 Ford GT is ridiculously exclusive Supercar Blondie, Instagram[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]YouTube car enthusiast Alex ‘Supercar Blondie’ Hirschi has revealed why the new 2020 Ford GT is one of her favorite hypercars and why it is so exclusive. Supercar Blondie has managed to build a massive following of over 3.8 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she documents her experiences with tons of the most expensive vehicles around. The popular YouTuber is no stranger to getting her hands on new or exclusive hypercars for her videos and, in her latest upload on June 27, she revealed one of her favorite ones yet. Supercar Blondie revealed that she managed to get a full look at the 2020 Ford GT and even took it for a short spin, highlighting many of its impressive features. “I’m here in one of my favorite, ever, hypercars. I’m going to show you what makes this car so special,” she revealed, sharing a look at the car’s exterior. She explained, shortly after, that one of the biggest factors in what made it her favorite cars was not even its specs, but the fact that it was extremely exclusive among car collectors. Hirschi added that even if someone had more than enough money to purchase one of the new 2020 GT’s, they would still have to be selected by Ford after submitting an application. “What makes this car so incredibly unusual is that you have to apply to own one of these cars, now even if you had all the money in the world you still cannot just go and buy one. Ford Motors has to give you that allocation,” Supercar Blondie revealed. The YouTube star later admitted that the car’s design was also among some of her favorites and added that it was quite different from Ford’s traditional range of car models. She also revealed that while the Ford GT would cost any car collectors, who were lucky enough to be selected, over $500,000 at retail price, she estimated that second-hand GT’s could easily sell for over $1 million with how exclusive they are.

  • SupercarBlondie amazed with Mercedes concept car that can drive sideways – Dexerto

SupercarBlondie amazed with Mercedes concept car that can drive sideways Supercar Blondie Instagram / YouTubeYouTube star Alex ‘Supercar Blondie’ Hirschi stepped into the future of motor vehicles when she came face-to-face with the 2020 Mercedes-Benz VISION AVTR concept car inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar. Concept cars have a long history in the auto industry, with the goal to both arouse interest in emerging trends and accelerating the development of new technologies to possibly incorporate them in the future. It’s safe to say that Supercar Blondie was stunned with various aspects of Mercedes-Benz’s take on an Advanced Vehicle Transformation (AVTR) design that actually responds to the “driver.” The concept even allows the driver to move the wheels in unison, to the point where they’re all facing one direction in order to actually drive sideways. “This is the crazy bit: this car moves sideways,” she said. “All the wheels will face one direction and kind of creep along like a crab.” This functionality, along with the “scales” on the back of the car and the bizarre wheels that leave “animal paw” treading, makes the concept feel alive. “In every single piece of this car, in the way that it moves, the way that it feels, the way that it looks, it is a creature,” Blondie said. Everything from the tires to the braking process were made to be in tune with the driver’s mood, similar to how the Na’vi tribes of Pandora literally connect to the wildlife around them using the “queues” in their braids. Much like the film, there is a physical connection between the people and their mode of transportation, and it’s no different here. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7A54NoHRiA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “So the whole thing about you becoming ‘one with the car,’ you may think ‘Ugh, that’s just a story. Whatever.’ This is why [Mercedes-Benz] says that,” Blondie explained as she sat in a driver’s seat lacking a steering wheel. “When you put your hand here on the [car’s middle console], it starts recognizing your heartbeat, and it will actually pulsate with you.” According to the YouTuber, the car starts to recognize who is in the pilot’s seat and eventually “knows exactly which person is sitting in the driver’s seat.” When initiating the driving mode, the center console actually pops out to give the person a sort of control lever that moves the wheels in the direction that they pivot the station. Just like Cameron’s 2009 film, the concept is a breathtaking feat of engineering that makes fantasy-like aspects a reality with its incredible use of emerging technologies.

  • Supercar goes up in flames after showing off ends in disaster – Dexerto

Supercar goes up in flames after showing off ends in disaster YouTube: VeeDubRacingOwning a supercar is a lifestyle choice. Wherever you go, people will want to take photos and film your car. Unfortunately, that’s not always a good thing, as the owner of this Nissan GT-R discovered the hard way. Showing off in a high-powered car is nothing new, playing up to crowds with extreme exhaust noises and displays of flames from tailpipes is a tradition as old as cars themselves. Unfortunately, though, the owner of this Nissan GT-R got more than they bargained for. Having clearly modified the cars’ stock exhaust system, the owner is able to rev the car to its redline while parked. This results in not only an incredibly loud exhaust note but also a dramatic display of fire coming from the tailpipe of the GT-R. Nissan GT-R catches fire while showing off Of course, creating this much of a scene is bound to draw a crowd, and that’s exactly what happened. In the video, people can be seen crowded around the high-powered supercar as it demonstrates its flame-throwing ability. The video then cuts, just as disaster strikes the Nissan. Smoke can be seen pouring from the back of the car, after the exaggerated flames appear to have set fire to the rear bumper and surrounding panels. Once the video resumes, it is clear to see that a mass panic has descended on the car meet. Bystanders and people with camera phones jostle for space, both trying to extinguish the fire and get a unique angle on the situation simultaneously. Clip starts at 1:10 As the car starts to burn, someone who appears to be the owner begins to try and douse the flames with his jacket, in an attempt to salvage the car from going up in smoke. Sadly these attempts proved pointless, and in an attempt to control the fire, the entire rear portion of the car is ripped off to give access to the source of the flames. Thankfully someone eventually locates a fire extinguisher and manages to extinguish the flames. Unfortunately, the damage is severe, and likely goes beyond what can be seen in the video. Whether the car was repaired or scrapped is unclear, but at the very least a new rear bumper and likely a number of wiring systems would need replacing. Clearly, the owner paid a heavy price for showing off.

  • Supercar Blondie wowed by “beautiful” Mercedes Maybach Vision 6 Cabriole – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie wowed by “beautiful” Mercedes Maybach Vision 6 Cabriole Instagram: @supercarblondieAustralian personality Alex ‘Supercar Blondie’ Hirschi showed off the jaw dropping Mercedes Maybach Vision 6 Cabriole, giving fans a glimpse into the future of electric vehicles. Supercar Blondie has one of the most popular automobile channels on YouTube, drawing in millions of viewers by showing off luxurious cars that cost more than some of us could make in a lifetime. However, the Australian also gets access to vehicle makers’ future projects, such as the Mercedes Maybach Vision 6 Cabriole during her February 12 upload. The mind-blowing electric vehicle gives fans a peek into the direction the industry is going in. The Mercedes Maybach Vision 6 Cabriole The car enthusiast flew to Germany to take an in-depth look at Mercedes’ futuristic concept car. After showing off its lengthy body, she explained the vehicle’s name. “Why is it called the Vision 6? Because this car is actually six meters long. That is a really, really long car. The back here looks like a yacht!” Alex then showed off the car’s beautiful white interior, which includes rose gold trimming on the floor and gas pedal. She then pointed out that the seats are lined with badges of the car maker’s iconic logo, and they light up. On of the most striking features of the car is its “classic” look on the outside, which the YouTuber elaborated on. “The idea behind this design is that this car could be considered beautiful in any decade. In a 100 years time, this will still be a stunning looking car. It’s very classic in its design,” she said. Despite its timeless outer appearance, the Australian showed off the vehicle’s futuristic center console, which has see-through wires that light up various colors. It gives off the effect that the car has energy flowing through it. Breaking down Mercedes projected stats for the vehicle, she stated, “They’re looking at four electric motors. Providing about 750 horsepower. Zero to 100 in under 4 seconds. And the range would be just over 200 miles.” While electric cars still face limitations for how long they can go before needing a recharge, the car enthusiast reassured viewers that the manufacturer is looking into it. “The other thing they’re really working on, and they want to see this integrated into a lot of their electric cars in the years to come, is how quickly you can charge them.” (Timestamp 01:34 for mobile users.) While only a concept, the mouth-watering car could be the kind of vehicles we will be seeing on the road in the next twenty years. If nothing else, it shows that makers are already looking towards the future with these dream-like designs. Supercar Blondie has grown a large audience with over 3.06 million subscribers to her YouTube channel, and 5.5 million followers on her Instagram. The car enthusiast continues to review the world’s most luxurious vehicles, while giving us a view of what the future holds for automobiles.

Supercar Blondie tests the world’s worst car gadget YouTube: Supercar BlondieOccasionally inventions come along which make you stop and wonder just what on earth the creators were thinking. In the latest video to hit her channel, Supercar Blondie tests an invention that will make you do just that. There are some things in life that we would all love to see automated. Menial tasks such as cleaning, ironing, or watering the lawn are probably sat somewhere near the top of that list, but there aren’t many people who complain about their car cover not being automated. It seems perhaps the company that made this ‘automated car cover’ may have made a product that no one was actually asking for in the first place. Not quite what we’d hoped for… Retrieving the device from the McLarens frunk, the YouTuber shows off a strange UFO-shaped object with a solar panel on top. Offering no explanation as to what the device is, she places the device atop the roof of the car and stands back in anticipation of what comes next. Read more: Emelia Hartford blew up her 2020 C8 Corvette – Upon activation, the entire top half of the device lifts up to allow the in-built car cover to expand from its storage space, with the aim of cloaking the car in its weatherproof cover automatically. Should it have worked correctly, this would’ve actually been really impressive. Unfortunately (and predictably) it failed miserably The car cover deployed automatically (after putting up a bit of a fight) via the remote as per its design, but it turns out that it is actually way too small to fit the McLaren. Clearly measurements weren’t taken prior to ordering! You do get a bag of random goodies though To its credit, the car cover did retract back into the strange UFO-like case as it was meant to. That then leaves the big question here.. just why would you spend $200 on this? As well as the somewhat pointless automatic car cover, she also received a bag of goodies to go with the device. These included a set of mini jump leads that didn’t actually connect to anything, some badly-translated instructions, and a rudimentary bike lock-style anti-theft device.

  • Supercar Blondie stunned by Dubai scrapyard filled with luxury vehicles – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie stunned by Dubai scrapyard filled with luxury vehicles Supercar Blondie YouTubeYouTuber ‘Supercar Blondie’ was shocked to see all of the leftover luxury cars from the lavish streets of Dubai that all ended in the same junkyard, and some were reselling for insanely low prices. Whether it’s vehicles that were completely destroyed in a collision or just an owner who left the country and couldn’t take their Ferrari California T back home with them, there were tons of supercars that “go to rest” in the lots of Dubai. Blondie was astonished at the hidden treasures she was coming across in the junkyard, although not all of them were in mint condition. “There’s nothing wrong with this one,” Blondie said, examining a California T that was apparently faultless on the outside. “There are other cars, over the years, that have literally been abandoned by owners on the side of a road because they couldn’t pay their debts and had to leave the country straight away. So you’ve got cars like this, and then you have cars like this.” Her gaze switched to a nearby 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith, which Blondie found can go as cheap as $125,000, but, because of the absolute wrecked state this one was in, it was selling for $2. That would only be the start of the tragic supercar collection in the fields of Dubai, which also included a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, a 2015 Mercedes GTS, and a 2006 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. One of the YouTuber’s most impressive finds was a white G-Wagon that caught her by surprise. Though the outside was covered in dirt from its environment, the off-road Mercedes SUV was in near perfect condition on the inside. “Oh my god, that is crazy,” she said after seeing the Carbon Fiber trim and the glass panel dashboard intact. “Look at how good condition this is. Not somewhere you would expect to find a brand new G-Wagen in this kind of condition here in a scrapyard.” The lot was expectedly filled with junkers that have no chance of going back to the streets, but Blondie was just amazed at the vast array of supercars that were gathering dust in the Dubai depot.

  • Supercar Blondie splits opinion with wild Rolls Royce Wraith makeover – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie splits opinion with wild Rolls Royce Wraith makeover YouTube: Supercar BlondieYouTuber and presenter Supercar Blondie is known for reviewing some of the most outrageous cars ever seen. Clearly inspired by those featured on her channel, she has now revealed a new set of modifications to her personal Rolls-Royce. Following the unusual ‘slime’ paint job that she did in July 2020, subscribers had not heard any further news on the Rolls-Royce’s status. Now, a completely overhauled look has been revealed in Supercar Blondie’s October 1 video. Costing upwards of $379,000 when new, Supercar Blondie’s Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge Edition is the epitome of luxury personal travel. Clearly not content with leaving it as RR intended, she has now taken it to the next level with a series of modifications. Instead of painting directly onto the Wraith’s bodywork, SB opted to use an unusual peel-able paint formula. This allows her to simply remove the color from the car when she wants to change up the look. By using the removable paint, it will also make it easier to sell if she ever chose to do so. Opting for a classic Nardo Grey color, the look of the Wraith has been completely transformed by the makeover. Had she simply changed the color from the factory white to grey, many would agree that it’d be a classy change. Controversially, however, Blondie has chosen a rather unusual accent color for the Rolls Royce: ‘Hermes’ Orange. SB is clearly smitten with the new look of the car, saying it looks “so frickin’ cool!” Supercar Blondie’s Rolls-Royce divides opinion The color change isn’t the only modification she has made. A custom-embossed ‘Supercar Blondie’ logo has also been placed on the right-hand fender which is only visible from certain angles. The wheels have also been upgraded to a set of massive 24″ wheels from Vossen. The wheels probed especially tricky for her, as apparently, it was “unheard of” to have wheels of this size on a Wraith. It also took three weeks to source appropriate tires for the wheels, not to mention finding someone brave enough to fit them. While Blondie loves the new look, her subscribers clearly weren’t so sure. One comment says: “Oh. It looks even worse than the previous “customization”. Honestly. (sic)” while another said: “The Orange Spirit of Ecstasy looks like a showpiece from a dollar store. Actually, it looks like chicken wings.” Clearly, not everyone is a fan of the new look, but as long as SB loves it, that’s all that matters.

  • Supercar Blondie smitten by “ridiculous” $500k custom Lamborghini – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie smitten by “ridiculous” $500k custom Lamborghini YouTube: Supercar BlondieAs if a standard Lamborghini Urus isn’t quite crazy enough, tuning company Mansory has released their take on the Urus, which seems to have won over Supercar Blondie in her August 28 video. Automotive tuning company Mansory is famous for taking high-end luxury and performance cars and modifying them beyond recognition. While they are often controversial in doing so, there’s a buyer for every car, and it seems Supercar Blondie was smitten with this ‘Mansory Edition’ Urus. This custom work doesn’t come cheap though; With the full Mansory body kit and tuning package, this Urus is $200,000 more expensive than the standard Lamborghini Urus. To put that into perspective; You can buy a brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo for that sort of money. Regardless of the crazy cost of the car, Supercar Blondie seemed to fall head-over-heels in love with it. Starting with the exaggerated and aggressive angles of the Mansory front bumper and new hood, she calls it “extreme and super, super manly” while explaining how Mansory “pimp out” Lamborghinis. Despite describing the car as “manly,” she clearly loves the look and style of it, but she did find the inflated $500k price tag a little hard to justify. Evidently smitten with this custom Urus, Supercar Blondie constantly repeats how much she “loves” the look of the car. She also gives us a little hint about her Rolls-Royce build, telling us she’s ordered 24″ wheels for her Wraith, but she’s now unsure if they will suit. By far her favorite part of this custom Urus is the new exhaust system and engine tune. With a new triangular exhaust set into the rear diffuser, the Mansory Urus sounds “frickin amazing” with its new “ridiculous” exhaust system. The engine tune also adds 30hp to the car, bringing the total power output to around 670hp. The interior is also a big part of her love for the Urus, describing it as being akin to that of a “fighter jet” in its layout. The controls are mostly touch screen with her praising the haptic feedback of the screen, along with the aerospace-inspired handles and levers. Making the most of the Urus’ incredible supercar-esque performance, she performs a number of accelerations up to 100kmh to show off the added performance and incredible noise from the exhaust. With Supercar Blondie giving the Mansory Urus such a glowing review, perhaps we’ll see one as an addition to the channel in the future? Either way, it’s clear she absolutely loved this controversial, $500,000 super-SUV.

  • Supercar Blondie shows off $1.2 mil James Bond Aston Martin Valhalla – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie shows off $1.2 mil James Bond Aston Martin Valhalla Supercar Blondie, YouTubeAustralian star Alex ‘Supercar Blondie’ Hirschi got her hands on the 2020 James Bond No Time to Die vehicle, and gave viewers a detailed look why the Aston Martin Valhalla is a jawdropping $1.2 million. With James Bond No Time to Die set to hit theaters in April 2020, fans eagerly anticipate any information on the popular British film which stars Daniel Craig, and Oscar winner Rami Malek. However, a popular Australian YouTuber has received the Aston Martin Valhalla early, and has given viewers an in-depth look at one of the stunning vehicles that will be featured in the latest installment of the spy franchise. An in depth look at James Bond’s 2020 Valhalla One of the staples of the long running spy series is exotic cars, which No Time Die will be sure to live up to with the announcement that the film will be using the $1.2 million dollar Aston Martin Valhalla. Supercar Blondie showed off the exotic car and explained, “Aston Martin for the very first time moved the engine to the front to the back, so now it’s a mid engined hyper-car. And now it kind of takes on the look of what you would consider a hyper-car should look like.” Read More: Why Lamborghini’s Egoista costs $117 million – Going over the vehicle’s eye-popping features, they detailed the hybrid “turbo-charged v6 engine,” but also explained how the supercar has a feature where the carbon fiber FlexFoil rear wing on the back actually bends at high speeds. “It’s actually bending. This is aerospace technology, developed with NASA,” they said. Another futuristic function on the car is the removal of traditional mirrors in favor of cameras mounted on the side. “This one does not have wing mirrors. There is a camera, the best thing is that it’s aerodynamic,” the car enthusiasts explained while showing the side of the vehicle. The Valhalla is an offshoot of the $3 million dollar Aston Martin Valkyrie, which they joked, laughing at the eye-watering price tag. “The Valkyrie is over $3 million dollars. A little out of range. But this one they call the son of Valkyrie, because it’s kind of a baby version. And it’s a bargain for $1.3 million dollars. Just pocket change!” To top it all off, the car maker also lined the seat with unique material that was used in the war. “This material is called ballistic nylon. It was first developed in World War II for airmen, who would wear it in a jacket. It would protect them from the debris that flies at them when bullets are fired,” they explained. (Timestamp 03:58 for mobile users.) The Australian YouTuber revealed that only 500 of these supercars are being made, making them truly one of a kind. Assuming you are rich enough to even attempt to purchase this, they go into production in 2021 in Warwickshire, England. President of Aston Martin, Dr. Andy Palmer, first announced the car’s inclusion in the 2020 James Bond installment in June 2019, tweeting, “Aston Martin Valhalla will star in Bond 25, the latest instalment in the 007 franchise.” It will also include other vehicles from the manufacture including the DB5, and the V8. Aston Martin @astonmartin DB5, Aston Martin V8 and Aston Martin Valhalla will star in Bond 25, the latest instalment in the @007 franchise. pic.twitter.com/l88q43Xwjv — Dr. Andy Palmer (@AndyatAuto) June 20, 2019 Whether Bond himself will be driving the mouth-watering car is still unknown, as the Supercar Blondie revealed that the 007 creators wouldn’t comment, meaning another character could be taking the driver’s seat. No Time for Die was originally set for a 2019 release, but after several changes in production, got moved to 2020, and will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and is said to be Daniel Craig’s last stint as the iconic spy. Despite the fact that most of us couldn’t even come close to affording this dream of a car, it will no doubt be an absolute visual feast when captured on theater screen in April.

  • Supercar Blondie reveals the insane tech inside new electric BMW iX SUV – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie reveals the insane tech inside new electric BMW iX SUV YouTube: Supercar BlondieElectric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more advanced by the day, and BMW’s latest design, the iX, looks set to be their most high-tech ever. YouTuber Supercar Blondie gets her hands on their new SUV, and explores the incredible tech inside the iX. Supercar Blondie is one of the world’s most successful car YouTubers. Having amassed an extraordinary amount of viewers across her social media, she has a fantastic platform for showcasing the latest technology used in car design. In her November 11 video, she unveils the all-new BMW iX SUV for the first time. A fully-electric SUV, the iX looks like it’s been sent from the future, and has enough tech inside it to back up that claim. Supercar Blondie explores the BMW iX The first thing that strikes you is the massive ‘grille’ on the iX. Because this is an all-electric EV, it’s not actually a grille at all. Called the ‘intelligence panel’ it houses a number of sensors such as those for the adaptive cruise control system. However, its party piece is that it is self-healing, only requiring the application of heat to ‘heal’ itself of stone chips and minor scratches. For the first time in a BMW, the traditional steering wheel has been ditched for a hexagonal one. Designed to add more space to the already minimalist cabin, the steering wheel sets the tone for the futuristic interior. The instrument panel is a one-piece, freestanding, curved display screen that stretches across the car. Containing all the information from speed to navigation instructions, the design emphasizes the width of the interior and offers excellent visibility for the driver. Buttons are also a thing of the past with the iX, thanks to all-new ‘shy’ technology. Controls are integrated directly into the faux-wooden surfaces of the interior. The controls in this particular model are also crystal, which SB thinks are “awesome!” BMW iX range and power The giant glass panoramic roof houses ‘electrochromic shading’ technology. This means that it can ‘close’ itself to block out sunlight, without the need for traditional fabric blinds or shutters. Unusually for an SUV, the ‘tub’ of the car is made from Carbon Fiber to keep the weight as low as possible. This is the sort of technology that is usually reserved for high-end supercars and hypercars, so BMW has left it exposed to show it off. Two electric motors producing 500hp (equivalent) power the iX, with a total range of just over 370 miles. 0-60 is taken care of in under five seconds, thanks to the instantaneous torque from the electric motors. With deliveries expected to start during 2021, it will be interesting to see how well BMW’s all-electric iX is received. One thing is for sure though, Supercar Blondie seemed to love it!

  • Supercar Blondie reveals the best thing about new BMW i4 electric car – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie reveals the best thing about new BMW i4 electric car YouTube: Supercar BlondieCar YouTuber Supercar Blondie got the chance to try out the electric BMW i4 concept, and revealed one thing that makes it better than other electric cars. The electric revolution is leading the way for automakers, with many of the major car producers looking to capitalize on the eco-friendly trend that has seen the likes of Tesla become a favorite among drivers. BMW are one of many looking to get on top of the trend, and the upcoming BMW i4 looks like their attempt to become the staple name for electric car owners in 2020. Now, Supercar Blondie has highlighted one feature that could squash many potential buyers’ fears. One of the most common complaints or fears that potential customers have when looking at electric vehicles is the range and charging times. Bill Gates explained that range was the main issue other than price, while former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond found he was almost caught short of charge after a road trip in his Tesla. That’s what Blondie suggests is one of the best things about the BMW i4 – it’s charging time. While many electric car owners will have to leave their car on charge overnight, or for an extended period of time, she says you can get 100km (62 miles) from just a six-minute charge. As Blondie says, this isn’t far off how long it takes to put fuel in your car so, although you won’t get the same amount of mileage for the amount of time charging, it’s definitely helpful if you’re in a rush or only need a small top-up. Overall, Blondie seems thoroughly impressed with the car in its entirety, which is expected to launch at around $50,000 when it first starts production in 2020. Though this doesn’t necessarily improve the overall range on the vehicle, and the max range of 370 miles is about the standard, it shows that electric vehicles are advancing at a fast pace and, as soon as charging points are more commonly available, we may see far more on the road.

  • Supercar Blondie reveals “secret” unreleased electric Bugatti hypercar – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie reveals “secret” unreleased electric Bugatti hypercar Supercarblondie, YouTubeYouTube car enthusiast Alex ‘Supercar Blondie’ Hirschi revealed a secret electric Bugatti model that never made its way into serial production. Supercar Blondie has managed to build an incredible following of over 3.2 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she documents her experiences with some of the most expensive automobiles around. The popular content creator surprised fans once again in her March 12 upload after managing to get her hands on a secret electric Bugatti model that was never produced for the market. Bugatti is one of the more luxurious car brands around and is known for producing some of the most jaw-dropping hypercars across the years such as their Veyron and Chiron models. However, Supercar Blondie revealed that Bugatti’s secret coupe, named the Bugatti Atlantic, which she got to showcase, was quite different from some of the previous ones. “They’ve moved the engine to the front, so you’ve got this long nose here,” she explained, comparing the car to Bugatti past models, “This would have a different engine to the Chiron and Veyron. She also shared that the Atlantic would even allow owners to choose an electric model, “The whole drivetrain is replaceable so that you can choose between a twin-turbo V8 or a fully electric Bugatti Atlantic.” Supercar Blondie explained that the Atlantic was originally meant to be unveiled in 2015 but after Volkswagen’s emissions scandal it never got to reach the production stage and was later canceled. She continued on to highlight many of the incredible features that the car boasted such as the butterfly doors and revealed that the estimated price tag was between 1-2 million Euros before getting a chance to interview the car’s designer. This is not the first time that the popular car enthusiast has managed to showcase a one-of-a-kind treasure such as this on her channel such as when she stunned fans after highlighting the incredible Ferrari MIG-U1.

  • Supercar Blondie reveals “quirky” features of $4m McLaren Speedtail – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie reveals “quirky” features of $4m McLaren Speedtail Instagram: @SupercarblondieFeaturing diamond-flaked paint, incredible active aero, and carbon as far as the eye can see, the McLaren Speedtail is the fastest McLaren production car ever. Supercar Blondie gets the rare opportunity to check it out ‘in the wild.’ Supercar Blondie gets to experience some of the rarest, most incredible cars on the planet as part of her job, but the ultra-exclusive McLaren Speedtail must be near the top of her ‘coolest cars’ list. Paying homage to the legendary McLaren F1 from the 90s, the McLaren Speedtail is the fastest production McLaren ever built. Limited to just 106 examples, the Speedtail is designed for all-out performance and maximum top speed. The Speedtail has “slippery” aerodynamics With its quoted max speed of 250mph, fighter-jet like seating position and “slippery” aerodynamics, the Speedtail that Supercar Blondie tested is worth a cool $4 million. Powered by a hybrid V8, this McLaren has a combined total of 1,100hp. This is no standard Speedtail though, as SB is quick to point out that it has a number of “quirky” features. The paintwork has real diamonds mixed in for an ultra-sparkly finish which costs $130,000 on top of the list price. Not content with having diamonds in their paintwork, the owner of this Speedtail chose to go with the 24k gold engine details and heatshields — a $35k option. The wheels too are chrome, which adds another $13k to the price. As if a gold engine bay wasn’t enough, the owner also gets a solid-gold toolset in the ‘frunk’ of the car, along with “awesome” custom McLaren Speedtail luggage. It’s like a fighter jet for the road Clearly excited by the central driving position and “spaceship sounds” the doors make, the interior appears to be SB’s favorite part of the $4m hypercar. It’s not lost on her that this is an ultra-rare opportunity, with SB saying she “can’t believe” she gets to do this review. With a central driving position akin to that of the McLaren F1, both doors are fully automated and controlled by overhead switches similar to those of a fighter jet. The controls for the engine and gearbox are overhead too, giving a real ‘Top Gun’ feel to the car. With a central driving position and two passenger seats flanking the driver to the rear, this is about as close as you can get to a fighter jet for the road. While for this video SB was only able to drive around a small courtyard, she said “maybe one day I’ll get the opportunity to test this baby at the track…” So fingers crossed we’ll see a performance test of the McLaren Speedtail from Supercar Blondie in the future.

With a cool 4.65 million subscribers on her YouTube channel alone, Supercar Blondie has made a name for herself as one of YouTube’s best automotive content creators. Earlier in 2020, SB made headlines after amassing an incredible number of Facebook views, reaching over one billion views in the month of August alone. Now, it seems that the ‘Supercar Blondie Family’ is only set to grow even bigger, after an incredible announcement via her YouTube channel and Instagram feeds. Supercar Blondie hits 30 million Facebook followers In spite of her massive following on YouTube, her biggest audience is actually on Facebook. Read more: Future reveals insane custom Chevrolet truck – With her incredible viewing figures for August 2020 still at the forefront of her mind, Blondie has revealed another exciting piece of news in the development of her brand. Insta fam next. Much love guys; Come join us and see why we get a billion views a month!” Clearly not content with hitting a cool 30 million Facebook followers, she states that it’s the “Insta fam next.” Blondie still has a long way to go on her Instagram page, however, as it currently sits at around seven million followers. Impressive, but that’s a whopping 23 million behind her Facebook page, so it might take a while to catch up. With her recent successes — including being crowned the richest car influencer on YouTube — it’s been one heck of a year for Supercar Blondie. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for the remaining months of 2020.

  • Supercar Blondie mindblown by “insane” amphibious truck – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie mindblown by “insane” amphibious truck YouTube: Supercar BlondieAs one of YouTube’s leading car content creators, Supercar Blondie gets to experience some of the craziest vehicles on the planet. Sometimes, a vehicle is just too much for her, though; as was the case with this incredible Russian Amphibious 8×8 truck. With everything going on in the world at the moment, doomsday preppers are in full-on panic mode. Thankfully, YouTuber Supercar Blondie has found them the perfect go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle. Dubbed the Avtoros ‘Shaman’ this gigantic truck is completely amphibious, so you can drive it on land or in water, and is custom-built by a team of Russian engineers. All eight wheels are driven, and can be controlled via the incredibly complex instrument panel in the cabin. The Shaman has the capacity to carry up to eight people, and features a central driving position akin to that of the McLaren F1. Performance doesn’t quite match the aforementioned supercar though, being powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine. Supercar Blondie drives the Avtoros Shaman 8×8 Blondie is quick to use her trademark “that’s crazy” statement, but in this case, it was definitely worthy of the phrase. The Shaman is unlike anything ever seen before on her channel, and she is clearly smitten with it. Despite its exaggerated appearance making it look like it came straight from a Fast & Furious movie, she said the Shaman was “very normal” to drive. One of the unique abilities of the Shaman is its ability to ‘crab’ steer, and traverse surfaces sideways. SB tried out this feature first with her whole team in the truck, and it seemed to go down a storm. With plenty of laughter, the team all agreed that it was truly “crazy.” Despite prices starting at $200,000 for a basic Shaman, given its incredible abilities, its “money well spent” according to Blondie. The team clearly enjoyed their time in the truck, with Supercar Kate (Blondie’s sister) asking “shall we combine all our salaries and get one?” On the water, the Shaman floats thanks to its giant tires acting as a buoyancy aid. They can then propel the truck by ‘driving’ in the water. Alternatively, it can be fitted with an outboard propeller unit, as demonstrated in the video. Blondie clearly enjoyed her time behind the wheel of this behemoth. However, with only a handful in existence, it’s unlikely we’ll see a Shaman 8×8 join the channel any time soon.

  • Supercar Blondie left “disappointed” by Porsche Taycan’s design – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie left “disappointed” by Porsche Taycan’s design YouTube: Supercar BlondieHaving taken the world by storm, the all-electric Porsche Taycan Turbo has won many fans. Unfortunately, Supercar Blondie was left “disappointed” by the Taycan, and she explains why in her September 29 video. With incredible acceleration, handling, and performance characteristics, the Taycan proved to be an immediate hit when released in earlier in 2020. Many YouTubers fell head-over-heels for the electric Porsche, but Supercar Blondie had an altogether different experience. That’s not to say that she didn’t have plenty of praise for the Taycan, too. The blistering speed at which it accelerates from 0-60 had her giggling like a schoolgirl, while the “clever” dual charging ports left her wishing conventional cars had two gas filler caps. “Super Futuristic” The “super futuristic” edgeless dash display fully impressed SB, as did the amount of luggage capacity for a car such as this. She was also a fan of the pop-out door handles that retract into the body when locked, along with the clever aerodynamic design of the wheels. Inside the Taycan, Blondie was very impressed with the overall interior design, calling it “super cool” but there were a few issues. The air vents have to be controlled via the touchscreen on the center console, which she called “a cool feature, but very annoying.” The biggest issues however involve the design of the car. “Looking at it, it’s obviously a Porsche… but my issue here is they had a chance to completely redesign the car,” she said. “I’m a little bit disappointed because I would really love to see Porsche push the boundaries of design.” “A whole new era of cars” Comparing it to the Mission: E concept that Porsche showed before releasing the Taycan, there are a number of glaring omissions which SB highlights. The concept showed rear-hinged ‘suicide doors’ but these never made it onto the production model. Not only were the doors missing, but the front fenders and hood are much less aggressively-styled than on the Mission:E concept. While unmistakably Porsche in design, Blondie “really wished [Porsche] made it stand out, especially when you’re talking about a whole new era of cars.” Overall, SB was impressed by the car, in particular its performance. Whether that would be enough for her to overlook the design faults remains to be seen – perhaps we’ll see an EV on the Supercar Blondie channel in the future?

  • Supercar Blondie leaves cleaner speechless by tipping his entire salary – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie leaves cleaner speechless by tipping his entire salary Unsplash / YouTube: Supercar BlondieWith everything going on at the moment, sometimes what we need is a nice heartwarming video. YouTuber Supercar Blondie delivers in her September 25 video, surprising her cleaner with an incredibly generous gesture. Many YouTubers and online personalities have been in the news for their generous donations and tips during 2020. Twitch streamer Pokimane donated a total of $10k to various streamers, while Pewdiepie gave a small streamer their first-ever donation earlier in September. Supercar Blondie can now be added to that list, having given her cleaner an incredibly generous tip. Keeping it low-key to start with, Blondie aims to give the cleaner “the surprise of a lifetime” thanks to her generosity. Speaking to Ismail, SB is able to establish that he moved to Dubai from Bangladesh around 10 years ago. Not only has he been in Dubai for a long time, but he is also a Supercar Blondie fan. Finding out more about Ismail He reveals that he sends a lot of his paycheck back home to his family in Bangladesh. With his biggest tip ever having been $27, Blondie’s blows that out of the water and then some. After leaving him to wash the McLaren, SB starts subtly digging to find out more information. While the actual amount is not revealed, she discovers what his monthly salary is from the cleaning job. For the first step up, SB says “Ismail, since you work so hard, I want to give you your monthly salary as a tip.” Clearly taken aback, Ismail is genuinely shocked by Blondie’s generosity, but little did he know what was coming next. “What a champion!” Having discovered what his total yearly salary is, SB gets the money out of an envelope that Sergi is holding, and turns to give Ismail the shock of his life. “Ismail, I would love to do this for you. Because you’re such a kind guy, I would like to give you your entire annual salary in cash” says Blondie as she hands over a wedge of rolled notes. Ismail is completely taken aback and he can’t stop smiling as the tip is given. There’s even a point where he’s completely speechless after experiencing such a generous gesture. No doubt it was even sweeter coming from her since he is a fan of Supercar Blondie’s channel.

Supercar Blondie celebrates after reaching “insane” Facebook milestone Instagram: @SupercarblondieHaving been crowned top of the automotive YouTuber rich list a few months back, online personality ‘Supercar Blondie’ has now smashed her own all-time Facebook channel viewing records, reaching an insane number of views. Perhaps best known for her automotive reviews and ‘first looks,’ Supercar Blondie (real name Alex) shares her videos with an extraordinary amount of viewers around the world via social media channels, such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Despite her presence on YouTube, Blondie actually has a much larger presence on Facebook — which reaches an incredible number of viewers by its own accord. Supercar Blondie smashes record Following her success on the automotive ‘YouTuber rich list’ during the first half of 2020, Supercar Blondie doesn’t appear to be resting on her laurels, having now revealed that she’s smashed her own all-time Facebook channel views record. Announcing the news via her Instagram account, Alex revealed the incredible figures that she regularly achieves on her social channels, as well as releasing the exact figure hit in August that smashed all her previous records. Showing the figures on the screen of her smartphone, viewers can see that her Facebook channel gets over one billion views per month on average. Given that the entire ‘Supercar Blondie’ production team is made up of just three people, that’s an incredible accomplishment with Alex herself calling it “insane.” View this post on Instagram How crazy is that!?! ?? My Facebook channel gets over 1 Billion views every month and we just set a new record at 1.4 BILLION minutes watched this month!! ??Wow guys I’m speechless – my FB family also grew to over 23 million people!! That’s in addition to her 23 million Facebook followers — helping her rise to be in the top 11 most-viewed pages globally. Determined to rightfully share the spotlight with her team, she wrote: “Wow guys, I’m speechless — my [Facebook] family also grew to over 23 million people! It’s safe to say the entire Supercar Blondie team has reason to celebrate.

  • Supercar Blondie and friends compare $500,000 SUVs – Dexerto

Supercar Blondie and friends compare $500,000 SUVs Supercar Blondie – YouTubeCar YouTuber Supercar Blondie compares the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge, a car that retails for $500,000 in the Middle East with the Brabus G800 to see which one comes out on top. As with any car in this price range, it’s quite hard to wrong with any choice, but there are enough differences between these two SUVs that make a comparison worth it. Blondie got the help of her friend Bianca for this video, but did explain she was brought to act more as a cheerleader than anything. For what it’s worth, Bianca did unveil the Black Badge for viewers, explaining how the car ditched the chrome trim from the previous model and replaced it with black, giving the car an extremely sleek look. She also pointed out how the car upgraded from 21 to 22-inch rims. Another bonus the two point out is driving inside it like “marshmallows” and they hear nothing from the outside of the vehicle. All in all, it definitely sounds like Blondie and Bianca greatly enjoy the time they spent with the Rolls-Royce, which was lent to them for a review. Eventually, they met up with their friends who had a Brabus G800 and did a comparison between the two. Obviously, both are extremely nice vehicles, but there were some things that’d help set them apart from each other. They tested how soundproof the car really was when they pulled up next to each other and couldn’t even hear the other car revving. “Let’s see if we can hear them rev, here we go,” Blondie said as her friends began to press on the gas. “I’m actually quite impressed.” (Quote begins at 7:20) When she rolled the windows down and had them do it again, it really showcased how loud the Brabus could really get. The first thing Blondie noticed right away the G800 had over the Rolls was it had matching brake calipers as opposed to the standard Mercedes ones. For the wheel fans out there, this vehicle does also sport 23-inch wheels while the Black Badge has just 22. While the exterior of the Brabus might have the Black Badge beat, she was able to sway some opinions once she went inside the Rolls-Royce and showed off the compartments for an umbrella and drinking glasses. She topped it off by showing off how two seats come out of the trunk area, making it a perfect vehicle for a picnic or a tailgate. The YouTuber didn’t actually come to definitive better or worse when it came to the two cars, so it seems like any prospective buyer would have nothing to fear when buying either of the two.

  • Stradman’s Veyron embarrassed by $2m SSC ‘Megacar’ – Dexerto

Stradman’s Veyron embarrassed by $2m SSC ‘Megacar’ YouTube: TheStradmanSince buying his Bugatti Veyron, YouTuber TheStradman has been planning a head-t0-head race. In his September 24 video, his wish finally came true, but not with the results he was hoping for. Having purchased his first-ever $1m hypercar in the form of a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, YouTuber TheStradman – real name James – had been itching to race it. The problem was finding a contender that gave the 1001hp Veyron a fair fight. Well, it turns out that Stradman got far more than he bargained for in the form of the SSC Tuatara. Costing almost $2 million, the SSC Tuatara is labeled as a ‘megacar.’ Sitting atop the automotive hierarchy, the Tuatara is a mind-bending ultimate speed machine. “Never in a million years” Powered by a 5.9l twin-turbo V8 engine, the Tuatara trumps the Bugatti’s power output by a significant margin. Putting down 1,350hp through the rear wheels, the “alien spaceship” Tuatara is one of the fastest cars on the planet. With Stradman himself calling it “the hypercar to dethrone all hypercars” it was clear from the outset that the Tuatara would be more than a match for the Veyron. “I don’t really have an ego, I know that Tuarata is going to wallop me” said Stradman. Having an open runway to work with means that both of these automotive giants could be put head-to-head in a safe environment. With James clearly gushing over the SSC, he was “literally getting chills” as he “never thought in a million years (he’d) be filming this video.” When it came time for the two cars to go head-to-head, it made for an interesting race. Initially, the Bugatti had the SSC off the line, and it looked like Stradman was in with a chance of winning. “One of the coolest things I’ve ever witnessed” Unfortunately for him, once the SSC was past “100 or so” it managed to gain complete traction on the runway and sped off into the distance in dramatic fashion. The Bugatti eventually reached 242mph, but was unable to catch the Tuatara. Despite losing in dramatic fashion, Strad said that their race was “one of the coolest thing I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life.” Clearly not upset with losing, he said it was “cool to be a part of history” as this was the first time the Tuatara had ever been in a drag race. If Stradman’s previous history is anything to go by, don’t be too surprised if we see him start to chase extra power from the Veyron’s insane W16 engine soon.

  • Stradman’s dog threatened as feud with WhistlinDiesel escalates – Dexerto

Stradman’s dog threatened as feud with WhistlinDiesel escalates YouTube: Whistlindiesel / Savage GarageAutomotive YouTubers WhistlinDiesel and TheStradman have taken their ‘beef’ to the next level, with Stradman forced to take drastic action for his own safety. Unfortunately, the world of YouTube isn’t all happiness and rainbows. Sometimes content creators can get into fickle disputes and start ‘beef’ with each other. While this is a pretty normal part of YouTube life, the drama between TheStradman and WhistlinDiesel appears to have escalated to a dangerous level. WhistlinDiesel has been the subject of debate several times during 2020 due to his controversial video style. Not only that, but he has also been involved in online drama with TheStradman, often mimicking his channel and car collection. While the last installment in this series of events was back in September, it seems that WD is not willing to let the past lie. In his October 2 video, he even imitated TheStradman’s vlogging style, in a video that was sure to generate plenty of interest with both sets of subscribers. WhistlinDiesel mocks vloggers Sadly, it seems that the division between both sets of fans has now gone too far. Going beyond simple sly comments and digs, TheStradman has accused WD’s fanbase of “Cyber Bullying” him via his social media accounts. As a result of this continued harassment by WhistlinDiesel’s subscribers, Stradman has made the decision to make his Instagram private. According to Strad, WD has been “encouraging his millions of followers to cyber bully [him] for the past month.” TheStradman receives personal threats Things only got worse for Stradman though. According to a comment he put on Instagram, WD followers have been DM’ing him saying they “hope he runs over [his] dog with his truck.” Obviously, these are incredibly disturbing messages, and these people have no right to be sending such hateful messages. WD did make a post on Instagram denouncing Stradman’s comments and saying that he “seems like a great person” but did not directly address the hateful comments by his subscribers. Discussing the situation, YouTuber Life of Palos said “we [the automotive community] can be so much better than what those particular fans are representing right now. We’re not the makeup community for crying out loud, we’re the automotive and supercar community!” With Stradman taking the steps to block out WD’s fanbase, we hope this will be the last we hear from this situation. While a little bit of drama can serve to boost the following of those involved in the short-term, once it gets to the level of personal threats, there is no place for that in any community.

  • Stradman slams Bugatti over “ridiculous” Veyron replacement key cost – Dexerto

Stradman slams Bugatti over “ridiculous” Veyron replacement key cost YouTube: TheStradmanHaving successfully bought his first hypercar earlier in 2020, TheStradman is now learning that Bugatti ownership is an expensive experience indeed. When buying a car, ownership costs are important to think about. New tires, fuel, insurance, and tax are all important factors to consider, but, usually, replacement keys are nothing to worry about. Unfortunately for automotive YouTuber TheStradman – real name James – it turns out that like all other Bugatti-branded items, replacement keys for his Veyron are subject to what he calls “the Bugatti tax.” The Bugatti Veyron came from the factory with two standard keys, a ‘valet’ key and the option of the coveted ‘top speed’ key. The standard keys are just everyday keys used to start and stop the car. The Valet key restricts power, while the top speed key unlocks the full potential of the 1001hp Veyron. An incredibly expensive process James has previously revealed that he shelled out for a ‘top speed’ key but now needs to buy a replacement standard key. Given that Bugatti keys are essentially just standard Volkswagen keys with different branding, it should be an easy enough process. Sadly, Bugatti not only make getting a replacement key difficult, but also incredibly expensive. Explaining the situation, he says that “deep down, I’m shedding a lot of tears” at the thought of going through the process. In total, the replacement standard key for his Veyron comes to $9,640.02! Just to add salt to the wound, it will also take two months for Bugatti to deliver the new key. “Absolutely ridiculous” “I can afford a ten thousand dollar key… but it’s overpriced” said TheStradman. “It’s absolutely ridiculous, I know the value of ten thousand dollars, and this isn’t it.” Expressing his frustration, Strad says “there’s a reason Veyrons are depreciating, its because of dumb things like this.” He goes on to say that he will be spending the $10k on a replacement key, but he also “has the platform” and hopes that Bugatti will see his video complaint and rectify the situation. Given that he has only just bought his Veyron, let’s hope that the deprecation begins to level out sometime soon, or TheStradman may find himself in a tricky situation when he comes to sell the Bugatti.

  • Stradman breaks down insane $30,000 Bugatti Veyron servicing cost – Dexerto

Stradman breaks down insane $30,000 Bugatti Veyron servicing cost YouTube: TheStradmanBuying a million-dollar hypercar is a massive investment in itself, but many owners or aspiring owners forget about servicing costs. YouTuber TheStradman discovered the insane costs for himself as he got his Bugatti Veyron serviced for the first time. Given that his Bugatti Veyron hypercar cost north of $1 million, you’d hope YouTuber James ‘TheStradman’ had stashed some money away for upkeep costs. Well, the reason for him selling another one of his supercars recently may have become clear, after he revealed the eye-wateringly high cost of servicing his Veyron in his November 6 video. Clearly, maintaining such a high-value car has always been at the back of his mind. During the video, TheStradman admits that when he bought the car, the maintenence “absolutely terrified” him. TheStradman tells all about hypercar ownership One of his goals is to ‘break down’ the costs of owning the Bugatti Veyron, allowing all of his viewers to understand the costs of owning a hypercar. To this end, he even goes as far as explaining why he paid out for such an expensive service. With cars such as this, official Bugatti servicing history is practically worth its weight in gold. Explaining his choice of servicing shop, Strad explains that what he would’ve saved taking the car to an independent garage, he would lose off the value of the car come resale time. Therefore, while it may be cheaper in the short term, a cheap service may actually cost him more when he sells the car. Breaking down the cost, some of the standout items include: Front brake pads – $5602 – Gearbox oil pump $1985 – Oil filter – $730 – A number of tiny screws costing in excess of $100 each – Clip starts at 5:10 The labor itself was also staggeringly costly, coming in at over $10,000. Parts came to over $17,000 to reach a total (including tax) of $30,160.71 – servicing the Veyron costs more than the purchase price of some of the cars that TheStradman owns. Despite the massive costs involved with maintaining and owning such an incredible machine, TheStradman actually revealed he’s still not legally allowed to drive the car on public roads. Unfortunately, the postal service “lost” the title documents according to James, so he is yet to register the Veyron in his name – we bet that makes the sky-high bill sting just that little bit more!

  • Stradman and Burlacher reveal the “number one rule” of supercar rallies – Dexerto

Stradman and Burlacher reveal the “number one rule” of supercar rallies YouTube: BurlacherTaking part in the 2020 ‘Cars 4 Kids’ Rally, YouTubers TheStradman and Burlacher have revealed what they believe to be the number one rule of Supercar Rally participation. Supercar rallies are the ultimate adventure for exotic car owners. Bringing together the best supercars and hypercars from across the country, rallies are a great experience for drivers and passengers alike. In his September 24 video, Burlacher and Stradman revealed some of their ‘key rules’ for a successful supercar rally. From basics like eating to not crashing your friends Ferrari, they had just about every base covered. Be sure to fill up on snacks With Stradman piloting the Ferrari 458, Burlacher takes his subscribers through the ‘rules’ of rallies. Starting off with the basics, he was quick to point out that fuel, snacks, and walkie-talkies are all necessities to ensure the trip goes as smoothly as possible. For a passenger, taking in the view is “essential,” while if you find yourself stuck on a canyon road behind traffic, be sure not to pass until it’s legal. In typical Stradman style, however, that rule was very quickly broken: “We just broke rule number 9, I just talked about it… and we broke it. I’m sorry” Burlacher’s ‘rule 12’ is an obvious one while driving, and that’s making sure the car has enough fuel. Not only does the car need to be fueled, but so does the driver; ‘rule 13’ takes care of that – fill up on snacks. “You don’t even know where you’re going to end” Explaining how rallies work, Burlacher says “you know where you start.. [but] you don’t even know where you’re going to end. You just follow cars!” His ‘rule 72’ is also extremely important: “If the driver of the rally asks you if you wanna drive… you’re forced to say yes.” With Burlacher behind the wheel, the second-most-important rule of all comes into effect: “Don’t crash your friends Ferrari!” So with millions of dollars worth of cars around, gorgeous scenery, and miles and miles of open tarmac, what is the most important rule? According to Burlacher, rule number one of any supercar rally is to “remember to go to the bathroom before you leave!”

  • Stradman amazed by Post Malone’s $1.7M limited-edition McLaren Senna – Dexerto

Stradman amazed by Post Malone’s $1.7M limited-edition McLaren Senna TheStradman YouTubeThere aren’t many McLaren Sennas in the world, meanwhile, there are even less versions of the experimental prototypes the company used to create the roadster – and the Stradman was completely blown away by Post Malone’s hypercar after getting a closer look. The YouTuber was visited by Post Malone’s father, who had in tow the Senna XP, Master of Monaco, which is going for an asking price of $1.7 million. It’s a much heftier price than what the base model retails for, at $1,000,000. As you can imagine, this limited-edition commissioned prototype is meant to be appreciated with the keys out of the ignition, to borrow a phrase. See, the keyless ignition on the Master of Monaco’s headliner doesn’t get much action, as Stradman noticed the car had only traveled 145 miles in its life. But the spirited vlogger was still looking to take it for a (small) drive around the block to hear that 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 block roar, something the car doesn’t normally get to do. The car is heavily rooted in McLaren’s racing history, and it’s got an aggressive aesthetic to complement it’s equally boisterous output. According to the company, the Senna XP goes 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, powered by the 789 horsepower engine and 590 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the interior would also appeal to the race car driver in us all, seeing as the pair of friends were grinning ear-to-ear from the incredible sights and sounds of the cabin. Stradman likened the experience to being in an “alien spaceship” for the cars adjustable center-console, lush red carbon fiber throughout the vehicle, and the ‘race mode’ transformation of the dashboard. The car was clearly made for only those who can afford it, while also being a true McLaren historian’s dream ship. The ‘Master of Monaco’ 1-of-1 label is in honor of McLaren’s six wins on le Circuit de Monaco from 1989 to 1993. The car has ample looks and meaning to get car fanatics like Stradman hyped to ride in it, and the pair were enjoying every second of it. McLarens are already known for their flash and glory, and the Youtuber was floored after he experienced the Senna in its pinnacle XL form.

  • SSC responds to backlash over ‘faked’ Tuatara 331mph record run – Dexerto

SSC responds to backlash over ‘faked’ Tuatara 331mph record run SSC North AmericaFollowing a jubilant celebration of achieving an alleged 331mph, SSC North America have been forced to admit the video for their record run is inaccurate, following backlash from numerous media outlets. What should’ve been an epic achievement of automotive technology and driving has transformed into a nightmare for SSC North America. After their Tuatara ‘megacar’ apparently broke the world production car speed record, a number of prominent automotive media outlets and YouTubers said the video was faked. These were not hollow, empty statements either. Even big-name YouTubers such as Shmee150 got in on the act, and presented several convincing arguments against SSC, including a number of mathematical analytics that could not be doubted. SSC did attempt to fight back, claiming that GPS company Dewetron had ‘validated’ the run, but even this has now been cast into doubt. Following the backlash, Dewetron themselves have issued a statement saying they “did not validate any data from world record attempts or preceding tests.” SSC Tuatara record run video issues Now, SSC CEO Jerod Shelby has explained the situation, citing a “video mix-up” as the cause of the inconsistencies. According to Shelby, the ‘wrong video’ was overlaid with the data log displays, which lead to a “variance in sync points” when media outlets had analyzed the video. Not only that, but according to Jerod there are “two videos, each with inaccurate information” that the team “hadn’t double-checked the accuracy of the video before it was released.” Given that this is a monumental event in the world of automotive performance, it seems strange that the quality control would not have been ultra-scrutinized before the video released on BBC’s Top Gear. Does the SSC speed record still stand? While the video issues have finally been addressed by SSC North America themselves, there is no word as to whether the official record attempt has been impacted. According to Shelby, the “accuracy of the equipment and speed sensor” are both confirmed in a letter from GPS suppliers Dewetron, which was issued when they got the equipment. The official submission to the Guinness World Records Association is also yet to be made, due to waiting on “third-party pieces of information.” Whether or not the record will be validated is still unclear.
