  • Hypercars being crash-tested is the most painful footage you’ll ever see – Dexerto

Hypercars being crash-tested is the most painful footage you’ll ever see Youtube: TheRichestAs with any production cars that are driven on public roads, supercars and hypercars are not exempt from being crash tested. Unlike watching any ‘normal’ car be crash-tested however, it brings a tear to your eye to see these gorgeous machines deliberately destroyed. Car safety testing is carried out by subjecting the vehicle to numerous front, rear and side impacts, both stationary and while moving. The results are recorded by the NHTSA to determine how well it protects occupants in a variety of situations. These impacts, naturally, cause a huge amount of damage to the test vehicles, with costs easily totaling up to hundreds of thousands of dollars per car in the case of luxury vehicles and supercars. Usually, manufacturers will use their lower-specification models to carry out the testing in order to save money, so long as they use the same structure as the more luxurious or higher-spec models. Most expensive cars crash-tested A perfect example of this is the Porsche Taycan EV (which starts at $103,800) with Porsche choosing to use the ‘base’ 4S model rather than the more expensive ‘Turbo S’ specification which costs upwards of $185,000. The crash test dummies themselves aren’t exactly cheap either, with the most advanced models coming in at around $150,000. This is due to the state-of-the-art sensors in their bodies that record data such as the shock level and G-forces caused by the crash. https://youtu.be/D5XFxJmAjoo Let’s take the Mercedes SLS AMG as an example of how much crash testing can cost a company. Ranging from $200,000 to a cool $500,000 when new depending on your specification, each time they have to crash test one of these cars that’s at least $200,000 down the drain. Ouch! You can see in the video above how the long hood works as a fantastic crumple zone, meaning that even in a head-on collision during testing the windshield remained perfectly intact. One of the most painful cars to see safety tested in the video above is the Koenigsegg Regera, which costs comfortably over $1,000,000. Koenigsegg are therefore very clever with their testing. Despite destroying the carbon fiber bodyshell with impacts during the assessment, they are able to simply remove the body and reuse the chassis after most tests in order to keep costs down. Read more: Which hypercar will TheStradman buy next? – Despite this economical approach to the process, it’s still no less painful seeing this gorgeous hypercar be crashed and smashed in the name of safety. With plenty of automotive icons featured in the video above such as the Pagani Huayra, McLaren F1 and Bugatti Veyron all being purposefully destroyed, it makes you appreciate just how deep these manufacturers’ pockets must really be.

  • Tesla Battery Day presentation: Stream, Announcements, Model S, more – Dexerto

Tesla Battery Day presentation: Stream, Announcements, Model S, more TeslaPoised to be one of the biggest EV events of the year, Tesla’s “Battery Day” event is upon us, here’s what we’re expecting from Elon Musk’s flagship event. In typical Elon Musk style, the Silicon Valley entrepreneur has been building plenty of hype for Battery Day across his social media accounts. According to Elon, Battery Day will bring “many exciting things” and says that the products and inventions unveiled will “blow your mind… it blows my mind, and I know it!” Elon Musk sets expectations for Battery Day Managing to somehow both build hype and settle expectations within one tweet, Musk declared “This affects long-term production, especially Semi, Cybertruck & Roadster, but what we announce will not reach serious high-volume production until 2022.” From that and several other tweets, it sounds like we’re in for a few big surprises from the Battery Day event. Choosing to mention Semi, Cybertruck and Roadster is also an interesting choice, as these are as-yet-unreleased products. Perhaps there will be news on the battery tech used within these products, or maybe even an update on the construction times for those who have pre-ordered their vehicles. The million mile battery? One of the standout rumors for Battery Day is the talk of Tesla trying to build a ‘million mile battery.’ Referencing the lifespan of the battery before it needs to be replaced, Tesla are hoping that by increasing the lifespan of a battery, more people will adopt EVs before it becomes mandatory. The aim is to make battery cars appear as ‘lifetime vehicles’ in the same way that a well-maintained combustion engined car would appear. With a lifespan of a million miles, that gives a lifespan of roughly 76 years – far more than the rest of the car would survive for. As reported by Reuters earlier in 2019, Tesla’s ‘million mile’ battery will be a joint collaboration with Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL). This new technology would also theoretically bring down Tesla’s cost per kilowatt-hour. Should it be successful, Tesla may well be able to pass the savings on to the consumer, and be able to sell their EVs for the price of a similar-spec gasoline car. Tesla to manufacture batteries in-house? Speaking of batteries, there is also a substantial rumour that Tesla will make the shift to in-house battery manufacturing – could this be announced during the September 22 event? Tesla currently source their batteries from outside companies, including their so-called ‘2170 cells’ which are produced by Panasonic. Despite being produced at Tesla’s gigafactory in Nevada, demand can outstrip supply. In 2018, supply shortages caused havoc during production of the Model 3, with Musk publicly blaming battery issues for ‘constraining production’ of the Model 3 and Model Y. With many recent tech acquisitions, patents filed and public studies published by Tesla’s Head of Battery Research Jeff Dahn, it seems that Tesla may be making the shift to in-house battery production. Battery Day would be the perfect time to announce this, and the time it takes to get factories up-and-running would explain Musk’s earlier tweet about an announcement “affecting long-term production.” The end of Cobalt in Tesla Batteries? Cobalt is a rare metal that is used in the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries such as those used in Teslas, but the mining of such materials is hugely controversial. It is hugely expensive too, and is often the root cause of EVs being so expensive. Musk has been openly vocal about his dislike for using Cobalt, stating that Tesla currently use less than 3% Cobalt in their batteries, and that next-gen Teslas would reportedly feature Cobalt-free battery technology. With such a big platform in front of him, Battery Day would be the perfect time for Musk to make the announcement that Tesla are moving away from Cobalt use. All-new Tesla Terafactories? When Tesla unveiled their Gigafactory, the world was shocked at the sheer size, volume and capabilities of the unit. Now, Elon seems to suggest that they’re going to one-up themselves. With Musk implying that Tesla’s next factories will be called ‘Terafactories’ the name change alone suggests an incredible size increase. ‘Giga’ relates to a billion, while ‘Tera’ implies a trillion. Gigafactories were named as Tesla aimed to produce ‘gigawatt-hours’ of battery capacity. The name change to Terafactories could also be reflection of new lofty power production goals for the electric vehicle company, in line with previous hints from Musk himself. How to watch Tesla’s Battery Day event With Battery Day festivities set to kick off at 4:30pm BST starting with a public shareholders meeting, there will be plenty of news and events from the EV giants. Both events will be live-streamed sequentially from the Tesla Website, and we’ll be bringing you updated coverage from the 2020 Tesla Battery Day event. Biggest annoucements from Tesla Battery Day With the event now being over, we’ve rounded up a collection of the biggest announcements from Tesla’s event. From new battery tech to budget EVs, there were plenty of big annoucements and promises from Mr Musk himself. Improved range from in-house batteries Tesla confirmed rumors that they are indeed making a shift towards in-house battery production at the event. The plan is to manufacture ‘tabless’ batteries in-house, which will bring both cost benefits and improved range for the vehicles they are used in. Labeled ‘4860 cells’ the tabless batteries will be six times more powerful than their current equivalents, and increase range up to 16%. Tesla Model S Plaid Powertrain One of the biggest announcements from the event was the unveiling of the ‘plaid’ powertrain for the Model S. Costing $139,990, the Plaid Model S will be sat above the ‘ludicrous’ model in the range, and promises hair-raising performance capabilities. Smashing 0-60 in under 2 seconds and with an alleged top speed of over 200mph, it will be knocking on the door of the Porsche Taycan’s fanbase to try and convert customers over to the Tesla brand. We will be seeing a $25,000 Tesla in the future In a bid to transform the accessibility of EVs, Elon Musk says that the goal is to build a “$25,000 Tesla.” Utilizing the aforementioned ‘tabless’ batteries and new manufacturing processes, Tesla aims to “halve” the cost per kilowatt-hour of their cars, bringing the retail price down to starter-car levels. Having promised a $25,000 EV back in 2018 and saying it will be available within 3 years, Musk may well be on track to stick to his words.

  • How Tesla build their car factories unbelievably quickly – Dexerto

How Tesla build their car factories unbelievably quickly YouTube: The B1MTesla is now the most valuable car manufacturer in the world. With such popularity comes increased demand. This requires huge so-called ‘Gigafactories’ which go up in incredibly short timeframes – here’s how they do it. Just ten short years ago, Tesla bought its first factory from automotive giants General Motors (GM.) Since then, the EV manufacturers have refined and honed their ‘Gigafactories’ to produce an incredibly slick building process. The factories themselves go up in shockingly short amounts of time, defying what many conventional builders would think is achievable. Located in Nevada and New York, Tesla’s Gigafactories are a feat of engineering and rank among the most high-tech factories in the world. Tesla Gigafactory construction process Featuring a staggering amount of automated processes, the actual human taskforce of these factories is much lower than anticipated. Since so many machines have replaced human processes, it is far easier to set up production lines than in ‘traditional’ factories. With Shanghai and Berlin now joining the two American factories, Shanghai in particular was built at astonishing speed. The production plant went from a bare patch of land to producing its first products in under a year. Part of this incredible speed is thanks to Tesla’s ‘building block’ style system. With a clear plan for their factories, they are able to simply replicate it time and again almost regardless of location. They know exactly how much space, what machinery, and what supporting architecture is needed. Another reason the buildings go up so quickly is thanks to the way the construction teams work. Instead of finishing one task before beginning the next, the contractors work to a pre-determined sequence, ensuring there is never any downtime between ‘stages’ of building. “A factory on each inhabited continent” By utilizing prefabricated construction elements, Tesla saves time by shipping ready-made panels, roofs, and walls to the site, meaning they can simply be ‘slotted’ into place where needed. There are risks to Tesla’s methods, however. Giga Berlin is under construction despite only having preliminary approval, and is yet to receive a final sign-off. Should this be denied, Tesla may have to tear the whole building down. With Elon Musk aiming for a production center on “each inhabited continent” Tesla will have plenty of time to perfect and fine-tune its process even further.

  • Hilarious Tesla Model 3 fail shows why autopilot needs serious work – Dexerto

Hilarious Tesla Model 3 fail shows why autopilot needs serious work TeslaElectric car brand Tesla has often been the subject of controversy over their so-called ‘Autopilot’ system. Despite concerns, the full self-driving update has now gone live, and where better to test it than San Francisco’s infamous Lombard Street. Tesla recently announced that their ‘full self-driving’ update is now live. Costing $10,000 to update, according to Tesla the car is completely capable of driving itself, with minimal human input. Not surprisingly, things haven’t gone perfectly. Of course, people are taking the name ‘autopilot’ at face value, and not monitoring their car while its on the move. Others have been a little more skeptical of the update, and have chosen to put it through its paces before trusting it entirely. One such person is Tesla owner and vlogger Tesla Raj, who chose to put his ‘autopilot’ system to the test on the world’s most twisted road – Lombard Street in San Francisco, California. Tesla Autopilot system failure Given that the road is tricky enough for humans to navigate due to its tight turns and steep inclines, it would be a true ‘trial by fire’ for the automated Tesla system. Initially, Raj is confident, saying to his co-pilot “we got this.. it should be good, it should be good right?” However, disaster struck on the first bend. Going into the corner, the pair were initially excited, and then quickly had that excitement crushed: “It’s doing it, it’s doing it… not it’s not going to do it” exclaimed Raj, as he manually input the correct amount of steering lock. Tesla’s system may be called ‘Autopilot’ but it still requires human intervention. Not only that, but it also requires hands to be placed on the wheel still while driving. Watching the self-driving system plot its course, the pair are quick to point out that despite the system “seeing” the corner, it doesn’t calculate the correct amount of steering angle or speed to safely navigate the bend. As it gets to the bottom of the hill, the car completely freezes. Due to the complex nature of the roads and the junction ahead, the car completely locks up and requires human override. Despite repeated failures, the Tesla does manage to navigate a couple of the turns unassisted. Reflecting on the challenge, Raj says it didn’t “do bad, considering this is one of the hardest streets [to navigate].” Given that it struggled with a 15mph residential road, the system clearly has some way to go before it can be completely trusted. Regardless, it is an impressive technological advancement, even if it isn’t ‘polished’ as of yet.

  • Hilarious Grand Tour bloopers show the trio still make rookie mistakes – Dexerto

Hilarious Grand Tour bloopers show the trio still make rookie mistakes YouTube: DRIVETRIBEIn the latest batch of previously-unreleased Grand Tour footage to make its way onto the internet, the producers show a surprisingly human side to the filming process; It seems that even professional drivers still get things wrong sometimes. While Richard Hammond is known for being the most likely of the trio to crash or mess something up, it seems that Jeremy Clarkson and James May also have their fair share of issues. Whether it’s driving insanely expensive cars or racing on closed city streets, even professionals (who seem to have the best job in the world!) have bad days. There’s no doubt that being given responsibility for a multi-million dollar car puts a heavy burden on the shoulders of these experienced drivers and contributes to a few bumps in the road. Classic cars fight back Clearly even seasoned veterans sometimes crack under pressure, with Hammond being seen struggling with the gearbox of a $2million + Jaguar XK SS. With these vintage cars there is no synchromesh to allow easy gear selecting, making the process rather hit-and-miss at times. Evidently the sun and pressure it was all too much for Hammond, as after failing to select first gear he eventually stalls the car completely. Hammond isn’t the only presenter to crack under the pressure of rolling cameras however, as Jeremy has also been caught in the act. “We’ll edit that out!” Blasting around closed-off French streets in a classic Aston Martin DB4 lightweight, Jeremy also falls victim to the complex driving characteristics of these vintage machines. Having caught his bracelet in part of the seating harness forcing him to stop and abandon his run, Jeremy then tries to get the car underway. Unfortunately due to the stiff clutch, he then goes on to stall the car completely in front of the rolling cameras. With a cheerful smile and a quick quip of “we’ll edit that out” he is quickly back to work waking up the local residents with his foot pinned to the floorboards of the DB4. Watching the finished episodes, it is easy to forget that Clarkson, Hammond, and May are still very much human like the rest of us. They still make mistakes occasionally, often with hilarious consequences – the only difference is that their mistakes are captured for us all to enjoy.

  • Has TheStradman bought a Bugatti Veyron? YouTuber buys first hypercar – Dexerto

Has TheStradman bought a Bugatti Veyron? YouTuber buys first hypercar YouTube: TheStradmanHaving teased it for months, posted numerous videos, and even having had a failed purchase, TheStradman has confirmed that he has finally purchased his first-ever hypercar. The only problem is, he doesn’t actually specify which hypercar he’s bought. It seems that TheStradman is at the end of a long and winding road to find his first-ever hypercar. Having spoken about it over the course of the last few months in various different videos, TheStradman has finally found the car he’s been looking for. Confirming the purchase in his latest video, he says: “Boys, I have officially found the car. I made an offer on said car, the offer was accepted, I signed the contract, and I wired the money. I officially own a hypercar!” Unfortunately, that is all the information that we get given by TheStradman himself. Naturally, the internet has gone into overdrive at this point, trying to deduce what car he has actually bought. Could it be a Bugatti Veyron? The general consensus seems to be that the incoming hypercar will be either a McLaren P1 or a Bugatti Veyron. Some people even believe this so strongly that they made fraudulent offers on TheStradman’s behalf on a McLaren P1 GTR. With the Bugatti Veyron having featured in a number of previous videos, it seems like the most likely contender to be the newest addition to his fleet. Previous video thumbnails also attest to the Veyron being the number one contender for being the car that was purchased, with not one but two videos showing the Veyron (with a Chiron in one video) alongside the ‘my first hypercar’ tag/text/title. Clip starts at 4:20 Alongside this, there is a line in his latest video seen above which also points to his first hypercar being the Veyron rather than the P1. In the video, TheStradman speaks about “thinking back 8 years ago to living in my car in Beverly Hills” and talks about the hypercar being a car he “never imagined in his entire life owning.” Eight years ago would make it 2012, and with the P1 was not being released until 2013 at the Paris Motor Show, it is likely that he would’ve been spotting Bugatti Veyrons around Beverly Hills during the time period he is speaking about. While we may not know which car it is yet, TheStradman promises we’ll know soon. Therefore, it’s unlikely we’ll be left in the dark for more than a week or so longer, so long as everything goes to plan.

  • Guy Fieri’s impressive car collection is as on-brand as you’d expect – Dexerto

Guy Fieri’s impressive car collection is as on-brand as you’d expect YouTube: Chevrolet PerformanceCelebrity chef Guy Fieri is known for his wacky fashion sense as much as his incredible culinary skills. But, he is also a massive petrolhead, with a very unusual car collection. [jwplayer smynPnSq] The first thing you’ll notice about Guy Fieri’s car collection is that it’s just as wacky as he is. Immediately, you’ll realize there is a distinct yellow theme running throughout, with the majority of his vehicles being painted in the sunshine shade. Yellow-ness aside, however, the cars in his collection are certainly impressive. From Jeeps to classic V8 muscle ones, Fieri has a vehicle for all situations – so long as it’s acceptable for it to be bright yellow. Guy Fieri’s classic car collection Guy is a massive classic car fan, and that’s evident from the moment you see his striking collection. One of the coolest ones in his garage is his 1969 Chevrolet Corvette. With its exaggerated, bulging arches and drop-top roof, it looks menacing even in the prerequisite yellow paintwork. His 1976 Jeep CJ-5 may not be the coolest car, but it might be one of his most iconic. Finished in bright yellow with flame decals down the side, this is a vehicle that’ll get noticed wherever Guy takes it. A self-confessed Chevrolet lover, Guy has a number of cars from the iconic American brand in his collection. Alongside these, he has a number of other awesome and sometimes obscure classics. Here’s the full list: ’69 Chevrolet Corvette – Jeep CJ-5 – Chevrolet Chevelle – CSX Cobra – ’96 Chevrolet Impala – The iconic red Chevrolet Camaro used on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. – Pontiac Firebird – Custom Chevrolet C10 truck – Guy Fieri’s supercars It’s not just classics in Fieri’s impressive collection. While a number of his supercars are – you guessed it – bright yellow, that doesn’t make them any less cool. Opting for a convertible version of the Lamborghini Gallardo no doubt helps keep Fieri’s iconic frosted tips upright at all times, thanks to the impressive performance from the V10 engine. Alongside the Gallardo, Guy also has a number of other supercars in his collection. While they aren’t all bright yellow, they are all certainly cool enough for Fieri: Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder – Aston Martin DB9 – 2007 Chevrolet Corvette – 2011 Chevrolet Camaro – Of course, he owns a number of ‘standard’ cars too, perfect for getting around without any attention. In his fleet, he has a number of trucks including an ’04 GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Kodiak, and even a Cadillac Escalade. Since a lot of his vehicles are classics, it’s impossible to put a price on Fieri’s impressive collection. Regardless of the cost, though, we can all appreciate the sheer coolness (and yellow-ness) of his collection.

  • GTA V’s crazy ‘Donk’ cars are actually a real thing – Dexerto

GTA V’s crazy ‘Donk’ cars are actually a real thing YouTube: effspotGTA V is full of insane cars, with a plethora of customization options available from changing wheels to lifting and lowering cars. Whilst some cars are just too wild to be real, the insane ‘donk’ cars are actually a real thing. As part of the GTA V Online ‘Lowriders: Custom Classics’ update, you can purchase the frankly ridiculous-looking Faction Custom donk. You may think that something as weird as this could only exist in the sphere of video games, but they are in fact a very real part of US car culture. Donk cars in GTA V Online The Willard Faction Custom donk in GTA is available from Benny’s Custom Motor Works and is sure to make you stand out from the crowd. With jacked-up suspension, oversized wheels, and plenty of insane wraps to choose from, each donk is as unique as the next one. Here’s the crazy thing though: Real-world donks are just as insane as the ones seen in GTA, if not even more so. SUVs, lowriders, and even Corvettes have all been subjected to the donk treatment. History of the donk Growing out of the hip-hop scene, donks are also known as Hi-risers, on account of their exaggerated lift kits and raised suspension. This crazy modification is necessary in order to accommodate the insanely large wheels with skinny tires that are the trademark of the donk scene. The most common and well-known choice of car for the donk treatment is the 1971-76 Chevrolet Impala, which actually spawned the ‘donk’ moniker due to the Impala emblem being referred to as the ‘donkey’ by owners. The performance of real-world donks is also similar to those in GTA V. Many owners sacrifice speed and handling prowess for sheer style and outlandishness, over-taxing the engine in order to turn the massive (sometimes up to 30″) wheels. Why such big wheels? Massive, over-sized wheels were once seen as a status symbol of wealth. Since the rims were so expensive, the bigger the rims you had, the richer you were. Nowadays it’s all about the style, and who can fit the biggest wheels under their arches. It is also common to see donk drivers go all-out on their paintwork, with many spending far more than the value of the car itself on complex candy and pearlescent paint alone. Massive subwoofers, numerous speakers, and upgraded head units are also part of the donk lifestyle, with drivers battling it out to see who’s car is the loudest. Whether you love them or hate them, there’s no doubt that donks certainly make an impression in the real world and online.

  • Gordon Ramsay’s incredible supercar collection will blow you away – Dexerto

Gordon Ramsay’s incredible supercar collection will blow you away Instagram: @hrowenferrariCelebrity chef Gordon Ramsay may be best-known for his incredible culinary delights, but it turns out the famously foul-mouthed chef is a big petrolhead too. Here are our highlights from his expansive collection. For Ramsay, his biggest vice is Ferraris. From classics such as the F355 GTS to the incredible SP2 Monza, his garage is full of so-called ‘prancing horses’. But it’s not just Ferraris in his collection. One theme that is certain, however, is speed. Almost all of Gordon’s cars have incredible stats, and his personal collection reads like a Top Trumps deck of supercars. Gordon Ramsay’s supercar collection It’s tricky to know where to begin when it comes to Ramsay’s supercars. With most people dreaming of just owning one or two of the cars from this list, walking into Gordon’s garage must be like entering heaven for any petrolhead. Ferrari It’s well-known that Gordon has a thing for Ferrari’s. Having cited the Ferrari 308 seen in Magnum, P.I as his first Ferrari love, as his success has grown, so has his collection of Maranello’s finest. His oldest Ferrari is a true ‘modern classic’ – a Ferrari F355 GTS from 1998. Clearly, modern classics are a favorite for Gordon, with a 550 Maranello and an F430 GTB. Moving towards the newer end of the spectrum, and one of the jewels of his collection is his gorgeous Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. The Aperta edition of the LaF is the rarest of them all, with only 210 ever made. The LaFerrari proved to be a good investment too, as prices have skyrocketed in recent years. Alongside the classics and the LaF, Ramsay has even more Ferraris tucked away. From an F12 TDf to a 488 GTB and even an SP2 Monza, costing over $1.8 million. McLaren, Porsche, and Aston Martin While his biggest love affair seems to be with Ferrari, that’s not to say Gordon doesn’t embrace other walks of automotive life. McLaren, Porsche, and Aston Martin all play a big part in his collection too. His McLaren Senna is one of the standout vehicles in his impressive collection. During a track day, he described being behind the wheel of the Senna as akin to driving “the fastest rollercoaster you’ve ever been on.” As well as his Senna, he also has a 675LT, which in itself isn’t to be sniffed at. Gordon only appears to own one Porsche, but he’s picked a very good one to go for – the 918 Spyder. His first hypercar, the hybrid 918 Spyder still turns heads and has incredible performance statistics nearly six years since it first launched. Aston Martin is another favorite brand for the celebrity chef. With both a DB7 V12 Vantage and a DBS Superleggera in his fleet, Ramsay is clearly a fan of driving the quintessential British supercar brand. Other exotic cars While the majority of his collection is made up of big-name performance car brands, there are also a few oddities within his fleet, though they too are impressive. The BAC Mono is the most hardcore vehicle in his collection, being a single-seat track-focused sports car. At the other end of the spectrum, he also has a custom Land Rover Defender 110, which was one of the only surviving stunt cars from the ‘Spectre’ James Bond film. While it is impossible to work out the total of Gordon’s collection, it is undoubtedly one of the most impressive fleets of supercars we’ve seen here on Dexerto. Clearly, Gordon is a man of taste both in the kitchen and on the road.

In that time, he’s risen through the ranks to become a household name in the rap/hip-hop genres. Now, he’s revealed the latest addition to his garage in the form of this crazy one-off Chevrolet Blazer. Future – real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn – is an American rap artist from Atlanta, Georgia. In his time as a musician, he has amassed a number of awards and released several critically-acclaimed albums and tracks. With a car collection including Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces, and Bentleys, he has now revealed his latest addition. Standing out from his collection of ‘typical’ exotic cars, Future has now taken delivery of his custom-commissioned Chevrolet K5 Blazer truck from renowned tuners RingBrothers. Future’s new Ringbrothers Chevy K5 Blazer This fully-restored, one-off build looks absolutely incredible and will stand out among Future’s other ‘stock’ cars. Finished in British Racing Green, this is a color that was not available from factory, and was used only for his personal build. The exterior has been left mostly stock other than the color change, but the front headlights have been upgraded to LED units. Not only have the headlights been changed, but also the wheels – the stock items being replaced by a set of 18″ gold HRE wheels. Inside, the car has been completely re-trimmed in brown leather, with a number of embossed logos throughout. The factory analog dials have been refreshed, but a 10″ touchscreen has been fitted to the dash. This is coupled to an uprated JL audio system – a key upgrade for a musician such as Future. Future unveiled the truck on his Instagram: Underneath the hood is the biggest upgrade to the car – a complete engine and transmission swap. The stock motor has been ditched for a 6.2l LS3 V8, coupled to an uprated GM automatic transmission. With 430hp on tap, Future will have plenty of fun driving this custom truck around. RingBrothers co-owner Mike Ring is justifiably proud of the result: “We’re humbled that people continue to come to us for special projects like this.” “We realize that our customers could get a new Ferrari or Lamborghini but choose us instead. It’s an honor we don’t take lightly, so we put our heart into each project. We’re glad Future appreciates that.”

  • Freddie Flintoff reveals unusual favorite car – Dexerto

Freddie Flintoff reveals unusual favorite car Instagram: @aflintoff11Freddie Flintoff is a former professional cricket player and current host of BBC’s Top Gear. Now in his third series as presenter, Flintoff has revealed the best cars he’s ever owned throughout his career. When the BBC announced Freddie Flintoff as one of the new presenters for Top Gear back in 2019, it was a decision that not many had seen coming. Famous for his past life as a professional cricketer and his witty humor, Freddie seemed an unlikely choice to present the motoring show. Since then, he’s settled into the role fantastically, and along with Paddy and Chris, brings his own brand of humor to the show. It also turns out that Freddie is a big petrolhead at heart too, which he revealed in an interview with CarBuzz. Freddie Flintoff’s car history “I love driving that car” admitted Freddie when asked about his Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Purchased from co-host Chris Harris, Flintoff admits it gets a lot of attention “because of how loud it is” when driven around England. The Camaro isn’t the only exciting car that he has ever owned, and it turns out his ‘back catalog’ of cars reads like a typical celebrity petrolhead’s garage. Discounting the aforementioned Camaro, Freddie has owned a number of noteworthy cars. Given that his first car was a Porsche Boxster, he started off on a strong footing. With a Porsche as the first car he owned, his collection went from strength-to-strength as his career progressed. BMWs, Porsches, and Ferraris all feature in Flintoff’s history. One notable inclusion was an E39 BMW M5 which he said was “one of his favorites.” He clearly loved the old M5, as he went out and bought a new version as well. Freddie has been attempting some ridiculous stunts while on Top Gear, including attempting to take a Jaguar XJ220 to 200mph: Porsche was bound to make another appearance since his first car was from the German marque, and it came in the form of a 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo. Hailed as one of the best ‘everyday’ supercars, there aren’t many petrolheads that haven’t owned a 911 at some stage of their life. Other supercars that he has owned include a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, a Ferrari 458, and a Lamborghini Murcielago. For luxury driving duties, Freddie owns a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, which he’s admitted he “looks a bit dodgy” while driving. So, with all of the incredible cars he’s owned, which was his favorite? A humble Ford Mustang convertible, which he owned back when he lived in Dubai! Clearly, a flashy badge isn’t everything for Freddie.

  • Forza Horizon 4 player turns Ferrari 599 Evo into a plane with crazy mod – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 4 player turns Ferrari 599 Evo into a plane with crazy mod Microsoft Studios / YouTube: One-GMForza Horizon 4 is all about pushing the envelope and watching it bend, but one player kicked it to a whole new level when they took the skies in a heavily-tuned Ferrari 599 Evo and made it seem like a plane. [jwplayer XAsSjgNd] Forza Horizon 4 is the pinnacle when it comes to racing games. It’s visually stunning, the gameplay is smooth, and it has an enormous catalog of cars, vehicles, and racetracks. The list goes on and on. However, what makes it truly remarkable is the sheer level of customization. Players can change everything from air-filters, clutch, engines, and manifolds to suspension and tires. It’s an excellent system with a lot of depth. Naturally, this means there is a lot of room for creativity, and no two vehicles will be the same. Players love to create and share their cars with the broader Forza Horizon 4 community. They also love to share videos of insane stunt jumps and other incredible feats too. One player decided to take it a step further and mix the two after posting an incredible video of them going airborne in a heavily-tuned Ferrari 599 Evo. “First test jump with new tune went well…” they said. Sure, it might not be realistic. But there’s something poetic about seeing a souped-up Ferrari Evo spread its wings and fly like an eagle. Plus, it’s even better when it happens in a dewy morning sky with snowy mountain ranges in the background. Sadly, the car went way too high for the game to recognize it as a legitimate stunt challenge. In other words, it didn’t break any records, and the player wasn’t rewarded for their efforts. Still, it blew the minds of everyone else in the thread and generated a bit of hype. That’s what truly matters in the end, right? Unfortunately, the original poster remained tight-lipped on the specific details of the tune, even though people were desperate to know. Thankfully, one user pointed others in the direction of what it might have been. “Just get the 599xx Evo and go to the tunes menu and look for the highest rated one that has top speed or something in the name,” they said. It’s impossible to know whether that’s the same tune as the one used in the video. However, it does seem like the Ferrari Evo is quite a beast, so it might still be enough for others to follow in the footsteps of the original poster and take to the skies.

Floyd Mayweather’s $21m+ car collection will blow your mind Instagram: @floydmayweatherWith over 15 titles to his name and an incredible undefeated record, boxing icon Floyd Mayweather has earned his retirement. Clearly a fan of the finer things in life, his car collection is incredible to behold. It’s no surprise that an icon such as Mayweather should have such an incredible fleet of cars. His undefeated record remains unbroken, while Floyd is one of the most lucrative pay-per-view stars of all time and one of the wealthiest athletes in the world. Now retired, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather resides in California, with a diverse and eclectic mix of cars ranging from ultra-high-performance hypercars to luxurious Rolls Royces. Below, we’ve picked out a few highlights from Money’s collection. He has so many cars, that instead of keeping them in one place, they are split across three different collections. One in Miami, one in Los Angeles, and one in Las Vegas. Each collection is themed by color, with Miami being silver, L.A being black and L.V being white. Keeping it classy Mayweather is a big fan of luxury travel and has had a number of ultra-classy cars in his fleets. Bentley is a particular favorite with Floyd having owned a number of Flying Spurs and Continentals. Rolls-Royce also features prominently, with several Ghosts, Phantoms, and Wraiths in his collections. Floyd is evidently keen to keep his family moving in style too. He has bought a number of G-Wagons for his daughter in various colors for different occasions. In terms of supercars, he has a taste for Ferrari and McLaren in particular. He’s been seen in his white McLaren 650s a number of times, along with a white Ferrari 458 spider. In addition to these, he also has a number of other Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, and Porsches in his insane fleet. Money by name, money by nature Earning his ‘Money’ nickname, Mayweather has not one, but five Bugatti Veyrons, each a different color. Not only does he have five Veyrons, but also owns one of the most iconic Ferraris ever built – a Ferrari Enzo. The most expensive car in his collection is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which Floyd allegedly paid $4.8m for. The one-of-four hypercar is made entirely from carbon fiber and puts out 1018hp through the rear wheels. With the total value of only part of his collection coming to a whopping $21,330,000 Mayweather must be one of the most prolific and wealthiest car collectors in all of America.

  • Five most expensive cars ever sold and their eye-watering pricetags – Dexerto

Five most expensive cars ever sold and their eye-watering pricetags PSParrot via WikiMediaThe world of classic cars is an expensive one, with cars regularly selling for over $1 million. However, that pales in comparison to the eight-digit figures of the cars featured here – the five most expensive cars ever sold. While many of us would look at big-ticket supercars and hypercars and recoil in horror at the prices, they’re nothing compared to some of the classic icons that cross auction blocks around the world. Ferraris and Mercedes-Benz both play starring roles in the list, with price tags that’d make even the most die-hard collector think twice. However, there is a buyer for (nearly) every car, even those with eight-figure price tags. Here are the five most expensive cars ever sold. 5. Ferrari 290 MM: $28,050,000 One of only four examples in existence, the 1956 Ferrari 290 MM is a purpose-built race car, and one of the most iconic open-top racers of all time. Built for Juan Manuel Fangio to drive in the 1956 Mille Miglia endurance race, the 290 MM sold for a whopping $28,050,000 during 2015. 4. Mercedes-Benz W196: $29,600,000 The only non-Ferrari on this list, the Mercedes-Benz W196 was built in 1954, and dominated the 1954 and 1955 Formula One seasons, in the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio and Sir Stirling Moss. Sold in 2015, Fangio’s car clocked up an impressive $29,600,000 at auction. It was even sold still dirty, showing ‘as used’ condition for extra historical bonus points. 3. Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti: $35,700,000 With the most complex name of any car in this ‘top five’ list, the 335 Sport Scaglietti is not only gorgeous to look at, but incredibly capable too. From Sebring to Le Mans, the 335 has done it all. This 1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti is about as close as you can get to art in motion, and sold for a mind-blowing $35,700,000 in 2016. 2. Ferrari 250 GTO: $38,115,000 One of the most beautiful cars ever created, the 250 GTO is also one of the most iconic Ferraris ever built. This, plus its impressive race history, led it to become the second-most-expensive car ever sold. Crossing the auction block to the tune of $38,115,000 in 2014, owning this 1-of-39 Ferrari 250 GTO is a big statement of wealth. 1. Ferrari 250 GTO: $48,405,000 Not only is the Ferrari 250 GTO the second-most expensive car ever sold, but it also takes the top spot too. Its styling, rarity, and pedigree are undoubtedly impressive, and led to a colossal final price of $48,405,000 at auction during 2018!

Adapt reveals FaZe Clan-themed 2020 Nissan GTR Youtube: FaZe AdaptAlexander Hamilton ‘FaZe Adapt’ Prynkiewicz showed off his incredible Nissan GTR custom in a YouTube video, and stunned fans with how impressive it looks. Adapt is a YouTuber and Director for popular esports and entertainment organization FaZe Clan. The 22-year-old started producing YouTube videos in 2011 and while he might have strayed away from his gaming roots, focusing on vlogs and reaction videos, his content remains as popular as ever. The customizations were performed by West Coast Customs, a legendary establishment embedded into popular culture after appearing in shows such as ‘Pimp my Ride’ and ‘Street Customs’ until the late 2000s. WCC simultaneously published a video on their YouTube channel, where you can see the process behind the customisation of the sports car. The video starts two months earlier with Adapt being shown computer models of the product, before moving into the process of stripping the car and reskinning. We see how the car was refitted with a new red and gold look, or “shiny red,” as Ricegum amusingly calls it in the video. Adapt’s reaction to seeing the finished vehicle in person for the first time says it all really – it’s an insane-looking car. The pièce de résistance, without a doubt, are the FaZe-Themed tyre-rims, which not only fit the colours but also keep it in line with the young YouTuber’s brand. Worthy of note of course, are the incredible handmade red and black seat covers in the interior of the car, which we see the progress on the company’s video. The various hype and enthusiastic reactions from members of the FaZe house perfectly reflected Adapt’s feelings when seeing the car for the first time, an immediate hit. The only moderate comments about the car’s looks came from FaZe Rain, but he was ultimately happy for his friend receiving a great-looking car, although not as fast as his Tesla. At the end of the video, Adapt announced that his Range Rover will also be getting the same makeover treatment as his high-performance vehicle.

  • F1 fans say Verstappen unfollowed Red Bull Racing after Honda bombshell – Dexerto

F1 fans say Verstappen unfollowed Red Bull Racing after Honda bombshell YouTube: FORMULA 1Following the shock news that Honda is going to pull out of F1 after 2021, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team has been left without an engine supplier. While no official statement from Verstappen has surfaced, many fans are stating he has unfollowed his team on social media. The news that the Honda F1 team is pulling out of the sport at the end of 2021 has shocked the entire Formula One community. Beyond the obvious ramifications for the drivers, this also leaves the Red Bull Racing team without an official engine partner, as theirs were sourced from Honda. Red Bull Racing’s official statement following the announcement was “This decision does not affect Honda’s commitment to achieving our shared goals during the remainder of our partnership as we aim to build on our joint success until the end of 2021.” Max Verstappen to move to Mercedes-AMG Petronas? Despite the Red Bull Racing announcement being a voice of calm and reason, many fans seem to be suggesting that star driver Max Verstappen may be looking to distance himself from the team. Delving into Verstappen’s social media profiles on Instagram and Twitter, it is clear to see that he no longer followed the official Aston Martin Red Bull Racing accounts on either platform. While we are unable to say for certain whether Max followed the accounts before the Honda announcement, this does seem like very strange behavior for Verstappen to display. Max does still display “F1 driver @redbullracing” in his Instagram bio, so he may not be looking to jump ship just yet. No wonder Max unfollowed Red Bull and Honda on IG. Sign him, Mercedes. — Ky (@FiftyBucksss) October 2, 2020 Verstappen re-follows Red Bull Racing team Interestingly, the speculation continues deeper than Max’s own behavior. Twitter user @FiftyBucksss also points out that Ola Källenius, head of Mercedes-Benz, has suddenly been followed by Max’s dad Jos. This Mercedes rumor mill also seems to have piqued the interest of Verstappen and Mercedes F1 fans alike. Many fans are now calling for Verstappen to make the ‘jump’ from Red Bull Racing to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team. Interestingly enough, in the hour since the tweets began to surface, Max has suddenly re-followed the Red Bull Racing account. Whether it was a knee-jerk reaction to the news or a technical error is unclear, but it will be interesting to see if Verstappen issues any sort of official statement in the coming days.

  • F1 champion Nico Rosberg reveals “epic” new electric hypercar – Dexerto

F1 champion Nico Rosberg reveals “epic” new electric hypercar YouTube: Nico RosbergWith the ban on new fossil fuel vehicles creeping ever closer, many celebrities are embracing the culture of electric performance vehicles. Ex-F1 champion Nico Rosberg is among them, revealing his all-new Rimac C_Two hypercar on his YouTube channel. Many countries are looking to tighten restrictions on pollution caused by gas and diesel engines, meaning EVs will likely become the norm within the next couple of decades. With electrification on the horizon, many rich car enthusiasts are starting to ‘dip their toe’ in the EV waters. Nico Rosberg is clearly a fan of performance electric vehicles and has revealed his new personal hypercar. The mind-blowingly fast Rimac C_Two. Insane performance figures from the C_Two With a quoted top speed of 412 km/h, (256mph) 1914hp (equivalent) 2,300nm of instantaneous torque and all-wheel-drive, the C_Two will run rings around all of its conventional combustion-engined rivals. The Rimac C_Two is not only a ‘green’ hypercar being powered exclusively by batteries, but it is also the fastest-accelerating road-legal car of all time. With a 0-60mph time of just 1.85 seconds, it will literally pin the driver back in their seat as the car accelerates. Just for some context, that is almost a second faster to 60 than Nico’s old F1 car, which took 2.6 seconds to reach 60 from a standing start. “So damn epic!” Nico is clearly in awe of the Rimac’s incredible performance capabilities, calling it “so damn epic” after he fell in love with it at the Geneva Motor Show. This is clearly a long-term investment for him too, saying “for me, it’s just… it’s the future!” As expected, Nico’s Rimac will be no ordinary C_Two. Speaking about his plans for the car, he explains that there will be a factory visit soon to ‘customize’ his car to his perfect specification. With performance on-tap and wonderfully ‘green’ eco-credentials, cars such as the Rimac will soon dominate the hypercar sector. If they’re good enough for an ex-F1 champion such as Nico, then electric hypercars are surely good enough for everyone else.

  • Ex-Tesla engineer wants to get revenge on Elon Musk after leaving – Dexerto

Ex-Tesla engineer wants to get revenge on Elon Musk after leaving Lucid AutomotiveThe Electric Vehicle (EV) race is well and truly afoot, with newcomers Lucid Automotive looking to take a share of the market with a secret weapon up their sleeve; Ex-Tesla chief engineer Peter Rawlinson. With Lucid Automotive revealing their first car – the Lucid Air – earlier in 2020, many have been quick to point out that it triumphs over Tesla’s offerings in many ways. Part of this is down to their head of engineering, Peter Rawlinson, who used to head up the Model S program at Tesla. Peter left Tesla back in 2012, but it’s apparent that Elon still holds him in contempt for setting up Lucid as a rival. On September 8 this year when Lucid announced their pricing for the Air, Musk was quick to slate his ex-chief engineer via Twitter. Rawlinson didn’t design Model S. Prototype was done before he joined & he left us in the lurch just as things got tough, which was not cool. He did make some contributions to body/chassis engineering, but not to powertrain, battery, electronics or software. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 9, 2020 Despite Elon’s claims, it’s clear to see that Rawlinson must’ve learned a thing or two. It is in fact the powertrain, battery, and electronics that set the Lucid Air apart from its Tesla rivals. With its 517-mile range, the Air has the largest range of any EV currently on the market. To achieve this, Lucid has employed cutting-edge technology in its compact motor units. Lucid have chosen to use ‘Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors’ as opposed to the ‘Induction’ motors that Tesla use. By making this shift, they have been able to increase the range of the vehicle dramatically, by reducing heat build-up and resistance in the motors. Lucid Air takes on the Tesla Model S These motors are also incredibly small, allowing Lucid to combine elements such as the transmission and the differential into one compact package. With each Air having three motors, size really does matter. The Batteries also play a big part in Lucid’s advantage, choosing to use a number of high-voltage batteries to power the Air. Rawlinson prefers this over using numerous low-voltage batteries, which he refers to as “dumb weight” since they all add significant weight to the car. Read more: U.S needs staggering amount of electric cars to hit 2050 climate goal This not only means they need less current to power the motors (increasing range) but also means the batteries themselves are smaller. This means that the Air has the maximum amount of cabin space possible, as the batteries do not ‘eat’ into the interior. With its world-leading range, incredible performance, and luxurious interior, the Lucid Air is taking the fight to Tesla.

[jwplayer qYU9URvL] Enable joined 100 Thieves as a content creator after officially announcing his retirement from professional Call of Duty following the 2020 CDL season. Having competed and won multiple championships under the 100T banner during the Black Ops 4 season, Enable built a strong affinity with the brand. Now, clearly, he’s proving it. In the first episode of his new show ‘Run It Up’ on LA Thieves’ YouTube channel, Enable pulled up in the new whip and it’s just about as cool as you’d expect. Pulling in to CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s reserved parking spot at the Thieves’ Cash App Compound, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was actually Nade’s car. The C Class Coupe costs upwards of $47,000 alone, but the 100 Thieves wrap makes it truly priceless. In 100T’s red and black colors, the design imitates that of the brand’s Geography collection that dropped way back in 2018, all black with jagged orange lines and the 100 Thieves logo emblazoned across the hood. The car is guaranteed to turn some heads as it sets across Los Angeles, and with some of the unique designs that 100T come out with, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more as their collection grows. For example, a matching Coupe with a wrap inspired by their Jam collection hoodie would definitely be worth the money. In fact, we’ll be disappointed if we don’t see more 100T-themed cars in the future. This comes just a few months after FaZe Clan’s Alex ‘Adapt’ Prynkiewicz showed off his unreal FaZe-themed Nissan GTR. Don’t be surprised to see more esports and gaming brands splurging some cash on similarly creative rides in the future.

  • Emelia Hartford reveals crazy plan after blowing up her C8 Corvette – Dexerto

Emelia Hartford reveals crazy plan after blowing up her C8 Corvette YouTube: EmeliaHartfordBlowing up your car is never good, but when life gives you lemons, you’ve got to make lemonade. YouTuber Emelia Hartford is doing exactly that after destroying her C8 Corvette, having revealed the big plans in store for the twin-turbo vehicle. During a test ‘pull’ prior to setting off on a 1000-mile rally, Emelia’s twin-turbocharged C8 Corvette suffered a severe failure. With Emelia thinking that it was a bent rod or broken valve, she had no choice but to take it back to the workshop to investigate further. Having now dropped the LT2 motor out of the Corvette and disassembled the block, it seems that the main issue is in fact the flywheel, which has been damaged by a bent rod. Whilst this may seem like an easier fix, neither Emelia nor her crew seem to know anywhere that they can get a replacement flywheel. Clip starts at 6:30 Choosing to make lemonade from lemons; Hartford then announces that her dreams of building a 9-second car look like they’re well on their way to becoming reality, thanks to a new partnership with renowned tuning shop Texas Speed & Performance. The plan to rebuild the C8 With the engine block severely damaged and with the car currently un-drivable due to the flywheel issue, now is the perfect time for Hartford to go ‘full send’ on this project and hopefully achieve her dream of running a 9-second quarter-mile time. It seems that blowing up her C8 couldn’t have come at a better time, since TS&P actually need a C8 for some R&D, meaning that both Emelia and the tuning shop benefit from this arrangement. While the full extent of the motor plan is yet to be confirmed, there was plenty of discussion around fitting a stroker kit to the motor to increase displacement. This would be in addition to the complete bottom-end rebuild required to get the C8 back to full health, and hopefully breaking into the 9-second club at the drag strip. Rounding off by saying that she and her team have “lots of plans and things they want to do” there’s no doubt that they’ll be pushing the performance of the LT2-powered Corvette to the limits.

  • Emelia Hartford blew up her 2020 C8 Corvette – Dexerto

Emelia Hartford blew up her 2020 C8 Corvette YouTube: EmeliaHartfordYouTubers often push the limits of their cars in the name of chasing performance (and viewing) figures, though sometimes these modifications go beyond the limit of the car’s capability, as Emelia Hartford discovered the hard way. Emelia isn’t the only YouTuber to be running a new C8 Corvette, however she is one of the first to blow theirs up by adding a twin turbocharger setup to the LT2 V8 engine in the C8. What’s interesting is that prior to destroying the engine on her C8, Emelia explains that the transmission is only rated by GM up to 664 ft-lb of torque. This is a problem, as she openly admits that they have “exceeded [this figure] drastically” – anyone else smell a disaster cooking? She then goes on to explain that when ‘exotic’ cars such as the C8 are subjected to a twin-turbo setup, they are meant to upgrade the clutch and the transmission to handle this additional power. Road testing begins at 11:16 Data logging ends in disaster In preparation for the 1000-mile road rally that Emelia had entered the C8 into, she wanted to run a few ‘pulls’ on the street in order to get some data logged. On her first launch, it seems that the LT2 V8 wasn’t happy with handling all of the additional power from the twin-turbo setup, despite it appearing initially A-OK as the C8 flew off the line. After the launch, the V8 developed what Emelia thought to be ‘valve tick’ (often caused by a broken valve) which was a major cause for concern, meaning the data logging session was postponed. Diagnosing the problem Arriving back at the garage, further inspection revealed that it was in fact far worse than a bent valve, with a borescope examination revealing that one of the pistons had actually cracked in half. Ouch. What’s baffling here is that Emelia openly admits that they knew they were pushing the performance of the motor and the transmission. She goes on to say that they knew pushing the LT2 motor so hard was going to result in a ‘bad time – so why not just build it properly in the first place? So what does the future hold? Emelia does however say that if they break it, they’ll just build it stronger. With the goal of getting the C8 Corvette to a 9-second quarter mile, they will have to not only replace the broken piston but also upgrade the transmission and a significant amount of the engines internals to handle the power. Interestingly the comment pinned by Emelia states that “The engine is already in the lab getting stronger. No sympathy needed here. Can’t wait to show you all what’s coming next” so let’s expect to see more of the C8 in the near future.

Emeila Hartford’s incredible custom C8 Corvette bursts into flames Instagram: @ms.emeliaModifying cars is always a risky game. Most of the time things turn out well, but occasionally disaster strikes, such as YouTuber Emelia Hartford’s C8 Corvette catching fire. Having spent the majority of 2020 building up her C8 Corvette, Emelia Hartford was finally able to take it for a run at the track. Unfortunately, it seems that her 2020 bad luck streak has continued. After being robbed and having numerous previous issues with the C8 Corvette, it looks like her luck isn’t going to change any time soon. Emelia Hartford C8 Corvette fire Posting to her Instagram story, Emelia showcased that she had taken the C8 to the track for some much-needed respite. Sadly, it appeared that the Corvette wasn’t too happy about this. In one video uploaded to her story, the Corvette is shown flying along the back straight of the race track. As the car passes the camera, it can be heard popping and banging. While this isn’t particularly unusual in high-powered, modified cars, it seems there was an underlying issue. Emelia herself was aware of this, reposting the story with “C8 is not happy today” on the video. This isn’t the first time she’s faced a battle with the twin-turbo Corvette. After months of building up the new setup, on her first test run the engine ‘grenaded’ itself, and required a rebuild. Clip starts at 3:49 According to YouTube news outlet Life of Palos, Emelia is shaken up but otherwise perfectly fine, which is of course the main thing. The C8 apparently caught fire “in a pretty big way” while out on track. While we have no images of the aftermath of the situation yet, it sounds like yet another blow for the twin-turbo C8 project. Emelia put up a post on her story after the fire, saying “Had my first car fire today. I’m ok. [The] C8… we’ll see.” Should the damage turn out to be significant, it could spell the end for the project; Fingers crossed it’s repairable.

  • Elon Musk reveals when the Telsa Roadster will finally hit the road – Dexerto

Elon Musk reveals when the Telsa Roadster will finally hit the road TeslaAfter years of teasing, false launches, and delays, it seems that we finally have a date for when the mysterious Tesla Roadster will hit public roads. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is well-versed in the art of building hype. From the controversial Cybertruck launch to his incredible SpaceX projects, the serial entrepreneur is a master of social media marketing. Given that he juggles so many different businesses and projects, it’s understandable that things may slip by the wayside from time-to-time. The Tesla Roadster is one of those things, but after four years of delays, even die-hard Tesla fans are beginning to get skeptical. “Space X package” Thankfully, it seems that we may now have a date for the production version of the Roadster’s first outing on public roads. According to a tweet by Elon Musk, the Roadster will hit the hallowed Nurburgring circuit sometime in 2021. Powered by three electric motors, the second-generation Tesla Roadster is allegedly capable of 250mph. Not only that, but it will allegedly dispatch 0-60 in under 2 seconds if you opt for the top-spec model. In typical Musk style, there are also a number of bizarre stories circulating around the car and its specifications. One particularly odd suggestion from Elon himself was the aptly named “SpaceX package.” “Behind the license plate is a rocket thruster” Speaking to Jay Leno on his Jay Leno’s Garage show, Musk was quick to emphasize how serious he is about the SpaceX package: “We are going use-ultra-high pressure compressed air — it’s a cold gas thruster. The main thruster will be like behind the license plate so for acceleration, it drops the license plate and behind the license plate is a rocket thruster.” Tesla has previously said that they’ve prioritized mass-produced cars such as the Model Y over the Roadster. Now, the baton has now been passed to the controversial Cybertruck, with a purpose-built factory being built in Austin, Texas. With the news about new in-house battery production during the 2020 Battery Day event, it will be interesting to see how this new technology influences the Roadster. Despite Musk saying we’ll see it in 2021, there is still no confirmed production date for the new Tesla Roadster.

  • Elon Musk reveals when Tesla Roadster is coming on Joe Rogan podcast – Dexerto

Elon Musk reveals when Tesla Roadster is coming on Joe Rogan podcast Tesla / YouTube: Powerful JREIn his second appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, after a truly wild first appearance in September 2018, Elon Musk has revealed when the Tesla Roadster is coming out. Musk was celebrating the birth of his baby boy, X Æ A-12, and took to Joe Rogan’s podcast to discuss everything going on in his life right now – including giving up on his dream “Iron Man” house in order to prioritize going to Mars. Obviously, as the CEO of Tesla, his revolutionary electric vehicles were a huge topic of discussion, and Musk reluctantly revealed when drivers can expect to get behind the wheel of a Tesla Roadster. After a brief discussion about martial arts, Rogan asked when he will be able to buy the highly-anticipated Tesla Roadster and, after much deliberation, Musk revealed what he can about the car. “I can’t say exactly when, but… this [crisis] thing has really thrown us for a loop,” he said, before discussing how other plans, such as the building of a Shanghai office, are also in the works. Finally, Rogan asked whether it will come before the Tesla Cybertruck and, after pausing for a moment, Musk said: “I think we should do Cybertruck first, before Roadster.” (Timestamp 1:51:05 for mobile viewers) This is interesting because initial reports had the Roadster in production throughout 2020 and the Cybertruck throughout 2021, so this means we might have to wait two years or longer for the Roadster to actually start appearing on roads. There’s no doubt that the ongoing global health crisis has clearly scarpered many plans at Tesla, but the delay of the Roadster might be one of the biggest. But if Elon believes the Cybertruck should first, there’s probably a good reason behind it, even if it means waiting a little longer to get your hands on a Roadster.

  • Elon Musk reveals Tesla’s electric car plan to “force” market change – Dexerto

Elon Musk reveals Tesla’s electric car plan to “force” market change Tesla/ YouTube: National Governors AssociationIt’s been one hell of a year for Tesla CEO Elon Musk, but it seems he has no plans to slow down yet, revealing that Tesla are going to unveil a number of new products to shake up the electric car market. Speaking at the European Battery Conference, Elon Musk has revealed that Tesla are ramping up the fight to retain their spot as the world’s most valuable car maker, with their value of $500 billion. Musk himself was recently placed as the worlds’ second-richest man with a net worth of around $128 billion. Only Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is wealthier than Musk, but, in typical Elon style, he has no plans to retire or take it easy. In fact, Tesla are looking to shake-up the EV market, and “force” their rivals to play catch-up, said Musk. Tesla reveals plans for 1000km EVs One of Tesla’s most ambitious plans is the introduction of their all-electric semi-trucks. Speaking at the conference, Musk confirmed that they “have vehicles under development that could do 1000km” (62 miles.) Such a development would undoubtedly shake-up the EV world, as not only would that be the biggest range of any EV on the market, but also far outstrip the range of conventional cars. With range being the biggest issue with people converting to EVs, it could be enough to force yet another electric car revolution. Going into more detail about the long-awaited Tesla Semi, it looks like good news for trucking companies too: “You will be able to carry basically the same cargo as a diesel truck. We think that maybe there’s a one-ton penalty. Maybe. “At this point, we think that we can have less than one-ton cargo reduction, and we think long term it’s going to be zero cargo reduction for electric trucks.” The ability to carry the same amount of cargo as in a conventional truck would be game-changing for Tesla, as it would mean there is no ‘eco sacrifice’ due to the weight of the batteries. Should they achieve this goal, it may be enough for them to start the ‘clean trucking’ movement that Elon has been aiming for. Finally, Musk also revealed that they are looking at making a ‘cheap’ circa-$25,000 hatchback. Sadly, only the European market would get this, but with Tesla aiming to bring battery costs down, everyone would benefit from low-cost battery technology, making EVs more accessible to all. Whether Musk and Tesla’s plans will come to fruition is uncertain, but should they pull it off, it could very well change the world of transportation forever.

  • Elon Musk reveals how electric car companies “low key” use Tesla’s tech – Dexerto

Elon Musk reveals how electric car companies “low key” use Tesla’s tech TeslaTesla is one of the most hyped automobile companies out there right now, and its CEO, Elon Musk, has explained on Twitter that other electric car manufacturers do use their tech, even though it might not be widely known. Even if you live in the middle of nowhere, you’ve probably seen Tesla’s Superchargers popping up all over as part of the company’s quest to cover the country coast to coast with charging stations. If you weren’t already aware, these charging stations are what Tesla vehicles use to power up and give them their “fuel” for trips. The technology is touted as one of Musk’s biggest innovations in the electric vehicle market, but the fact that other companies aren’t using it has confused a lot of people on the outside, including tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee. “Why don’t more electric car makers take up Tesla on their offer to use the Supercharging network?” Marques Brownlee wondered aloud on Twitter. “Incompatible tech? Hidden fees? Pride? There’s gotta be a good reason.” If you think about it, it does seem highly inefficient for every different type of electric car having to use a different type of charging system. You don’t have to go to a special gas station if you’re driving a BMW or a Honda, for example. Surprisingly, Musk himself replied to Brownlee’s inquiry and explained that other companies were, in fact, using Tesla’s Supercharger tech, although they were just keeping it a bit under wraps. “They are, although it’s kind [of] low-key,” the South African entrepreneur explained. “Tesla Superchargers are being made accessible to other electric cars.” They are, although it’s kind low-key. Tesla Superchargers are being made accessible to other electric cars. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 21, 2020 If electric cars ever want to catch on and eventually replace internal combustion vehicles, it makes sense for every electric car to have the same charging system, plugs, setup, etc. As Brownlee said, “from the outside looking in, it looks like a win for both companies but nobody has done it yet.”

  • Elon Musk responds to Bill Gates buying a Porsche over a Tesla – Dexerto

Elon Musk responds to Bill Gates buying a Porsche over a Tesla Wikimedia / Marques BrownleeAfter Bill Gates revealed that he had bought his first-ever electric car, the Microsoft co-founder surprised some by announcing it was a Porsche Taycan, rather than the acclaimed Tesla series. Now, Tesla owner Elon Musk has responded. Gates, who is now focused primarily on philanthropic work on global health and climate change, revealed that he had bought the “premium price” Taycan during his interview with tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee. While praising the car as “really cool,” he also admitted that generally, electric vehicles have their shortcomings, namely price and total range possible on a single charge. When speaking to Brownlee, Gates said that electric passenger vehicles are one of the most “hopeful” areas for reducing emissions, and praised Tesla as “one of the companies that has helped drive that.” But, he still opted for the Porsche Taycan himself, which came to the surprise of some Tesla fans. Twitter account Tesletter, who creates an “unofficial Tesla newsletter,” expressed disappointment about Gates’ remarks. I’m disappointed because a lot of people are going to watch the interview and they are going to trust Bill’s word for it and not even consider EVs. Why? Because Bill Gates is a really smart guy! — Tesletter (@tesletter) February 18, 2020 Elon Musk responds to Bill Gates This prompted a response from the Tesla co-founder himself, Elon Musk. He simply stated that “My conversations with Gates have been underwhelming [to be honest].” It’s unclear what these conversations were, or if they related to electric vehicles at all. Musk clearly doesn’t feel the same way as Bill Gates when it comes to the issue of charging being such a major issue, primarily due to Tesla’s “supercharging.” When speaking to Brownlee, the Microsoft co-founder said that gasoline is still a more “dense” energy source, and so, while dirty, is often simply more convenient, if wanting to travel long-distances especially. Other than the ‘premium’ which still applies to electric cars, this was his only real complaint about them at all, while also highlighting benefits such as reduced maintenance costs, and the price of gas itself. Musk did admit that he was impressed by Bill Gates’ chair-jumping abilities, however. The two tech pioneers are both now focused on areas that will help the environment. Add to this Jeff Bezos’ pledge of $10 billion for climate change, and there is certainly a focus from these three multi, multi-billionaires to help the planet. According to the latest figures, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos leads the three with a net worth of $115bn, followed by Gates on $109bn, and Musk with $40bn.

  • Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz puts $150k Dodge Challenger up for sale – Dexerto

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz puts $150k Dodge Challenger up for sale Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has decided to get rid of his Dodge Challenger for the hefty price of $150,00 US dollars. For anyone in the market for a new car from a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, one has just become available with Wentz’s 2018 Dodge Challenger. This isn’t just your run of the mill Challenger either as the Eagles QB has made a bunch of enhancements to it, so it’ll feel a lot more personal if anyone does decide to splash the cash and pick this up. In fact, it might even feel a bit too personal as it has Wentz’s jersey number etched into the seats, so this will definitely appeal diehard fans the most. Wentz’s green Challenger SRT Demon Coupe has just 3,689 miles on the odometer, so the buyer will be getting a lot of life out of it, and with a top speed of 199 miles-per-hour, it promises to be a very speedy vehicle. While there are next to no situations in your everyday life where you’ll be able to reach that speed, just knowing it’s possible is all the rush you can get. For those on the fence about a car this expensive, it might help to know that a portion of proceeds will be going to the Wentz AO1 Foundation, which is a religious-based charity that helps various groups of people, according to TMZ. With Wentz’s wife now pregnant, it’s sounding like the family might have decided that this isn’t the best car to raise a family in. Considering he signed a $128 million extension to remain with the Eagles, finding a new vehicle shouldn’t be too difficult for him. If purchasing his Challenger sounds like something you want to do, or if you just want to learn more about the car, you can check out the listing posted by Gary Barbera here. Unfortunately for him, his NFL season finished prematurely as his Eagles were eliminated by the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round of the playoffs on January 5. In that game, Wentz went out with an injury and backup quarterback Josh McCown had to finish up.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s incredible car collection in pictures Instagram: @therockDwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most recognizable celebrities. From voice acting in Disney classics such as Moana to his role as Hobbs in the Fast & Furious franchise, he has done it all, and has the car collection to prove it. Often cited as one of the nicest guys in showbiz, Dwayne Johnson can do everything from supervillain to Disney hero, and is recognized across the world. From his career as a wrestler to his current status as a Hollywood legend, The Rock has been in the spotlight for much of his life. Thankfully, this pays off; His net worth is reportedly over $200m dollars, a significant portion of which he has spent on his incredible car collection. The Rock’s supercar collection One thing that is impossible to ignore about Dwayne Johnson is his size. A walking man-mountain of muscle, his bulk leads to issues when buying cars. He has been seen with a bright orange McLaren 650s similar to the one in TV show Ballers (which he stars in). One of the few supercars he can fit his frame into, the 650s is certainly one of his less low-key rides. Along with the 650s, The Rock also reportedly has a Ferrari LaFerrari. Spec’d in white with black accents, the LaFerrari was apparently a gift from the Ballers production team. While it is unclear whether he can actually fit in this car, it appears he still owns it. This would be a smart move from the star, given that they’re going up in value. While not technically a supercar, The Rock also owns a black Rolls Royce Wraith. While the Wraith is perfect for luxury travel, this multi-millionaires ‘daily driver’ is something a little less conspicuous. Dwayne Johnson’s exotic cars Alongside his supercars, The Rock has a number of exotic – and rather unusual – vehicles in his car collection too. His daily driver for example isn’t a typically ‘Hollywood’ car. Perfect for traveling in comfort and relative secrecy, The Rock chooses to use his custom Ford F-150 Raptor for daily duties. When he wants the size and comfort of the Raptor but is happy to forgo the benefits of blending in, he has another incredibly cool truck: The Hennessey Velociraptor 6×6. This insane custom-built truck has over 650hp from its V8 engine, and was a gift to The Rock from the ‘Ballers’ production crew. Of course, Dwayne has one more trick up his sleeve – his private jet. After all, when you’re as rich as The Rock, who would want to fly economy?

  • Dump truck driver channels their inner Ken Block in viral drifting video – Dexerto

Dump truck driver channels their inner Ken Block in viral drifting video YouTube: ViralHogWhile drifting a car requires incredible skill and a healthy dose of bravery, drifting a dump truck borders on insanity. Incredibly, that’s exactly what the driver of this industrial truck decided to do in order to brighten up their day. Whether this was an act of boredom, courage, or simply a way to make their tedious day more exciting; The driver of this CAT 40-ton dump truck clearly has some skills behind the wheel. In a bid to shave minutes off of their loading time and have some fun in the process, this driver decided to abandon the traditional reversing maneuver and instead elected to power-slide their truck to change direction. Clearly this is one experienced operator. Using the ramp to build up speed, they make the most of the slippery clay surface to throw the truck hard left and apply plenty of gas, causing the truck to lose grip and begin to slide. Impressive skills from the driver Holding a drift in a lightweight car is difficult enough, but managing to control an all-wheel-drive 40-ton truck in a power-slide is practically god-like. Thanks to the truck’s massive tires and the low-friction road surface, the driver executed the trick perfectly, leaving them to simply reverse underneath the excavator’s bucket to be loaded for the next run. Even the excavator operator seems to enjoy this driver’s antics, as they can be heard giggling in the background as they watch the stunt unfold in front of them. Public reaction to the video As expected, the comment section of the video is a mix of sheer praise for the driver’s skill, along with the standard fare of light-hearted retribution. With many commenters clearly working in the construction industry, there are numerous references to health & safety and what they’d do if they saw this footage. One YouTube user named Rob G says what we’re all thinking. This is unlikely to be the driver’s first rodeo, having likely practiced this trick numerous times before being filmed. Quite how they were still on site is unknown, but no one was injured so perhaps the site owner sees it as a case of no harm, no foul.

  • Drake’s incredible $8 million car collection in pictures – Dexerto

Drake’s incredible $8 million car collection in pictures Instagram: @ChampagnepapiDrake needs no introduction. As one of the biggest names in rap music across the globe, the star has amassed a net worth of over $150 million. Not only is his net worth insane, but so is his car collection. Canadian musician Drake – real name Aubrey – is one of the best-known names in rap music. With a ridiculous number of awards to his name, he has become an almost permanent fixture on mainstream music charts. As you may imagine, his success had led to him building up quite the car collection. Reportedly, the total value of his current car collection is worth nearly eight-figures. With his continued success, it is likely that he will break this barrier within the next few years if all goes well. Drake’s insane car collection 2020 Drake is a big fan of British supercar makers McLaren, and has a number of their cars in his fleet. One of his personal favorites is his white McLaren 675LT. Costing upwards of $338,000 the 675LT is one of McLaren’s most ‘hardcore’ cars ever, with 666hp from its twin-turbo V8 engine. Not one to go with ‘basic’ versions of cars, Drake purchased a limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. With 700hp on tap, this Lambo will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and cost Drake a cool $400,000. Drake has also previously said the car “makes him feel like Christian Bale (in Batman)” when behind the wheel. Swapping performance for all-out luxury, Drake owns one of the plushest cars money can buy – a Mercedes Pullman. Typically used by royal families and government officials, this high-class Merc is perfect for whisking Drake around in absolute luxury. It doesn’t come cheap, however, retailing at over $600k. Opting for a one-off car is a great way to ‘flex’ your wealth, and that’s exactly what Drake has done with his $700k+ Mansory Bushukan Phantom. Featuring a custom design, along with a solid gold OVO hood ornament in place of the RR ‘spirit of ecstasy’ the Phantom is perfect for ultra-plush travel. Drake’s incredible hypercar collection In terms of hypercars, his collection is as crazy as you’d imagine. His Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir is one of only 12 in the world, and cost a whopping $2,000,000. Drake also has a LaFerrari in Yellow, which likely set him back around $1.5-$2 million. If you thought the Bugatti was wild, the crown of Drake’s collection will blow you away. He has reportedly bought one of the world’s first Devel Sixteen hypercars. With an alleged 5000hp from its 12.3l, V16 engine, it is one of the rarest cars in the world, costing $2,200,000. Drake’s custom private jet Of course, we can’t forget his custom Boeing 767 private jet, but that won’t fit in a garage, so we’ve excluded it from the list. All told, Drake’s car collection is currently sitting around the $8 million mark, if reports are to be believed. Who knows where it will sit in a few years time.

Doug DeMuro reveals his bizarre dream car list YouTube: Doug DeMuroPopular YouTuber Doug DeMuro has revealed all of the cars he’d love to own in his ‘dream garage’ but if you think it’s just chock full of supercars and expensive vehicles, you’d be wrong. Car enthusiasts around the globe all have their own unique wants and likes when it comes to owning a set of wheels. Some, obviously, have more cash to splash than others and can make their dreams a reality by buying something they’ve had their heart set on for quite a while. Though, for many others, a dream car is purely that – a dream. Yet, it doesn’t stop them hoping to own at least one of the cars that may be out of their reach. However, for Doug DeMuro, his dream car list isn’t full of McClaren P1’s or Bugatti Veyron’s. According to the popular YouTuber, he has a list of 11 cars that he absolutely wants to own – including a handful of those that he has actually managed to grab the keys for – with it taking him around a month to settle on the list. The 11 he is desperate to own are: the Audi RS2 Avant, E30 BMW M3, Ferrari F40 – the most expensive on the list, 2005/06 Ford GT, Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione, 1997 Land Rover Defender 90, a 1998-2001 Mercedes Benz C43 AMG Wagon, Mercedes Benz CLK 63 AMG Black series, Mercedes Benz G500 Cabriolet, Porsche 993 Turbo, and a yellow Porsche Carrera GT. “I wanted to be kind of realistic about this,” Doug explained. “What are the cars that maybe I could one day potentially own? Obviously, I want a Ferrari F50 but those are 3 million dollars, I’m never going to have that kind of money to buy a car.” Of the wide-ranging list, the YouTuber car enthusiast already owns a 2005/06 Ford GT, 1997 Land Rover Defender 90, and the Mercedes Benz G500 Cabriolet – with the Defender being something he’s wanted since he was a kid. Whether or not he’ll be able to add to those in the future remains to be seen, especially as some of the older cars have only just become importable to the United States. For now, though, it’s one of the stranger dream cars lists out there.

  • Doug DeMuro reveals Ford’s biggest mistake with the 2021 Bronco – Dexerto

Doug DeMuro reveals Ford’s biggest mistake with the 2021 Bronco Ford / Doug DeMuro YouTubeYouTuber Doug DeMuro pointed out the biggest mistake with the 2021 Ford Bronco as the car company is getting ready to revitalize a treasured name for old-school sports compact SUV enthusiasts. Full details for the first new Bronco in 25 years has been coming out in droves, and DeMuro broke down everything he likes about the upcoming vehicle and, for him, there wasn’t much to hate about it. The new Bronco’s design, its utility capabilities, the ability to take off the roof and doors to give it a much more rugged appeal, and all of the smart accessory designs that have been laced around the frame of the SUV. The YouTuber hasn’t even gotten into the car and is already fawning over all of the intricate details that Ford has teased for its future release. “The camera system can act as a spotter for the tires, you can take off the bumper caps for narrow trails so they don’t get scraped,” he said. “Needless to say, this thing will be a gold mine of quirks and features.” But Ford’s greatest flaw in coming out with this restyled classic is its timing in the market, according to DeMuro. He found that the demand for the Bronco is already turning up for every model, and there’s a reason for it. “Ford is insanely late to this party,” Demure said, pointing out that competitor cars in similar classification like the Wrangler, G Wagon, or 4 Runner already has a command of the market. “The Raptor came out a decade ago,” he said. “Its early success early on should have clued Ford that ‘hey, people are interested in off-roading vehicles like this, larger ones: You can bring back the Bronco.’” He says that the company missed out on a lot of money coming out with the Bronco in 2021, and believes that it could have drawn on the same hype train it’s on right now in, say, 2015. In either case, it is already shaping up to be one of the most popular releases for consumers in quite some time as wait lists for this car are already filling up.

  • Doug DeMuro explores insane features of $480,000 Rolls-Royce Black Badge – Dexerto

Doug DeMuro explores insane features of $480,000 Rolls-Royce Black Badge Doug DeMare: YouTubeCar reviewer Doug DeMuro gave viewers an inside look into the $480,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge and its crazy features. It’s what he calls “the most luxurious SUV ever made,” and the YouTuber was able to back up this lofty claim by giving his audience a tour of the new and expensive vehicle. In his nearly half-hour video, the reviewer showcases many of the car’s impressive features, at one point revealing a special umbrella holder that proves this car is head and shoulders above the competition. DeMuro explains this special Black Badge edition bumps the price tag up a bit over the regular version – $100,000, to be exact, but explains all of the reasons for this increase. The YouTuber claims it’s a more refined and exclusive version of the original Cullinan. Some examples he gives of this upgrade include its replacement of the chrome trim found on the original model with black, also boasting upgraded horsepower over the previous model that raises it up to 600 with the Black Badge. The $480K price tag easily makes this one of the most expensive SUVs ever made. It boasts all sorts of features that aren’t available in other cars; the Black Badge even has its own button that will close the back door without any need to pull on the handle. DeMuro goes on to throw the various panels in the back, revealing options to control the radio and heated armrests – and that’s just a couple of the features that help it stand apart from the competition. In terms of features that’ll help the driver out, he singles out the back-up camera, which he calls “the best of all time.” It gives the driver a complete 360-degree view of the vehicle, acting like a drone flying around the car. He eventually explains why the car sports a warning label about dogs, clarifying that this caution is because the cargo area of the vehicle doesn’t get any airflow, so it can get very dangerous for any pets put back there. Eventually, the YouTuber took the car on the road to let viewers know how it drives. He says it’s a “pillow-soft” ride and he doesn’t hear any sounds coming from the vehicle, or from the outside world even, making it very relaxing to roam around in. In the end, the car manages to get a Dougscore (the YouTuber’s review system) of 68/100, and he calls it the “ultimate SUV for sale.”

  • Doug DeMuro blown away by the Ford Broncos crazy features – Dexerto

Doug DeMuro blown away by the Ford Broncos crazy features YouTube: Doug DeMuroDoug DeMuro is well-known for his in-depth automotive reviews on YouTube. In his review of the all-new Ford Bronco, he reveals some incredible quirks and features of the new off-roader. The 2020 Ford Bronco is one of the most hotly-anticipated cars of the year, with media coverage building up to a frenzy before its official launch earlier in 2020. As Doug DeMuro himself says, it’s the first car to “challenge” the Jeep Wrangler, and the Bronco comes packed with unusual features. Doug wasn’t reviewing an ordinary Bronco, however. This was in fact a prototype vehicle from Ford, which had one glaring omission – it had no engine. Unfortunately, this meant that DeMuro was unable to drive the vehicle, but it still gave him a fascinating insight into some of the unusual features of the Bronco. 2020 Ford Bronco features One of the quirks of the Bronco that Doug immediately highlighted was the ability to remove the doors completely. Not only are they frameless, but they also come with custom carry bags for easy transportation. The doors even fit in the Bronco itself, unlike those on its competitor, the Jeep Wrangler, which cannot be carried within the vehicle. The Bronco is a purpose-built off-roading machine, and the interior design reflects this, as DeMuro discovered. The Bronco can be spec’d with drain plugs in the floor, allowing the cabin to be simply hosed out after a muddy adventure. They also serve another practical use, as the vehicle can be simply drained like a bathtub if any “gunk” gets into the cabin. One of the more unusual features inside the cabin is the inclusion of a built-in GoPro mounting rail on the dashboard, perfect for filming off-roading exploits. There is also a USB port right next to the rail, meaning the camera can be charged while on the go. Read more: Future reveals insane custom Chevrolet truck – Speaking of filming, the parking cameras on the Bronco can also be used as “awesome” film cameras. Not only do they capture driving action, but also overlay graphics such as an inclinometer and other “various vehicle off-roading graphics.” With so many features to discover, Doug’s full video runs to over 30 minutes. If you’re a fan of the Bronco, it’s well worth watching in full.

DJ Khaled’s luxurious $4 million car collection will blow your mind YouTube: RichFilesDj, rapper and producer DJ Khaled lives life by his “we the best” motto, and his luxurious car collection certainly confirms that. Featuring the best-of-the-best, Khaled knows how to travel in style. With his signature “we the best” starting his songs, DJ Khaled knows how to live life to the full. His garage is living proof of that, featuring only top-shelf luxuries on four wheels. Khaled’s net worth is estimated to be around the $70 million mark, and a good $4 million of that is invested in his cars. Featuring typical Rolls-Royces and Range Rovers, there are also a few rare oddities within his collection. DJ Khaled’s Rolls Royces While many celebrities would be happy with one ultra-luxurious Rolls Royce, Khaled is clearly a connoisseur of the brand. With no less than five in his collection, he can have one for each day of the working week, and still leave other cars for weekend duties. His Rolls-Royce collection reads like a back-catalog of their entire brand. Wraiths, Ghosts, Phantoms – they’re all included. Highlights of his ‘Roller’ collection have to be the Phantom 8 and Phantom Drophead Coupe. Two of the most expensive Rolls Royces ever made, the 8 is worth a cool $450,000 while the Drophead Coupe is worth a whopping $533,000! In an interview with Forbes, Khaled explained his love for the brand: “What I love about Rolls-Royce is, you look at me, it’s like you’re looking at a Rolls-Royce. It’s just powerful; Smooth; It’s iconic.” DJ Khaled’s Maybachs The other brand that Khaled has a major love affair with is Maybach. Going head-to-head with Rolls Royce for the luxury market, Maybachs are often loved by those in the music game, and are referred to regularly in pop culture. Featuring opulent interiors, stunning styling, and lavish details, Maybachs are one of the classiest ways to travel on four wheels. Khaled owns two of these high-rolling vehicles. The first is a 2012 Maybach 57s, a luxurious sedan loved by the celebrity elite across the globe. His other Maybach is significantly more interesting, being a Landaulet. Costing well in excess of $1.3 million, this convertible Maybach is the epitome of open-top luxury, topping even his RR Drophead Coupe. DJ Khaled’s other cars Khaled clearly isn’t a fan of high-performance, no-frills supercars or hypercars, as he doesn’t have any in his collection. Other than his Rolls-Royces and Maybachs, there are a couple of other SUVs in his garage. Typical for most LA celebrities is a Range Rover, and Khaled’s Range Rover Sport is surprisingly modest given his usual taste. As is his Caddilac Escalade, which is perfect for blending into the traffic for incognito transportation. As with the rest of Khaled’s life, the only way is up – we look forward to seeing what his next car additions will be.

Thank you for being part of the journey with us. 🖐️ ❤️ pic.twitter.com/p5c8MDUfKo — EA SPORTS WRC (@EASPORTSWRC) September 7, 2020 “It sucks, we know,” Codemasters admitted in their tweet. “The start line is now a little further away, but it’s still very much in sight.” Those of us who ordered the Amplified Edition of Dirt 5 will still get three days early access to the game, but that will now happen on November 3, so we’ll still have longer to wait. Apart from an annoying release schedule that keeps changing on us, Dirt 5 does look like the best installment in the series yet, with plenty of rally cars to choose from and curving, winding off-road tracks to drift and race around. Hopefully, there’s a course going through Japan at night, so we can live out our Tokyo Drift fantasies while listening to the greatest Fast and Furious theme song ever (you know the one). For the first time ever in Dirt 5, players will also be able to design their own custom courses in the brand-new “Playground” mode, so even if there isn’t a Tokyo map, you might just be able to create your own neon-drenched street racing fantasy. There is one silver lining to Dirt 5’s delay, however, as players who purchase the game for Xbox One or PS4 will receive a free, next-generation upgrade when those new consoles release later this year.

  • Did Agility Customs just leak TheStradman’s crazy 6×6 Jeep build? – Dexerto

Did Agility Customs just leak TheStradman’s crazy 6×6 Jeep build? Instagram: AgilitycustomsHot on the heels of revealing his incredible custom Lamborghini build, it seems YouTuber TheStradman may be about to unveil his next big build – the Jeep Gladiator 6×6. Having recently revealed his twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo build, TheStradman may well be about to drop the update video for his insane lifted, 6×6-converted off-road build. Custom car shop Agility Customs have been tasked with carrying out the 6×6 conversion on his Jeep Gladiator, and appear to have teased a progress shot of it on their Instagram account, saying that a “6×6 update [will be] coming to a Vlog near you…” Jeep Gladiator 6×6 conversion With TheStradman having sold a number of his cars recently, and with everything going on at the moment, many people had forgotten about his Jeep Gladiator 6×6 build. Based upon his already lifted and heavily-customized Jeep Gladiator, TheStradman is now tasking Agility Customs of Salt Lake to convert this 4×4 into a 6×6. Converting the Jeep is no easy task, requiring significant custom fabrication work to add a third axle onto the vehicle, increasing the number of driven wheels from 4 to 6; Thereby labeling it as a ‘6×6’ vehicle. Agility Customs was the shop that did the majority of the customization on the Gladiator in the first place, adding far larger wheels and tires and lifting the suspension significantly among other modifications. Hopefully, this means that they were able to get the majority of the work done with ease. As per tradition for TheStradman’s “Grape army” of cars, the Gladiator was also wrapped in a purple grape color when finished; A tradition that seems to be continuing judging by Agility Customs’ Instagram post. The post appears to show the chassis of a Jeep 6×6 conversion, which, coupled with the choice of purple scribble to ‘hide’ the body of the car in the image, seemingly hints that it is indeed TheStradmans’ vehicle. Coupled with the fact that TheStradman said there is “big news” coming to the channel in a number of his previous videos, means many fans have figured that this post is a hint that there will be an update vlog on the Gladiator 6×6 sooner rather than later. With a house build, hypercar purchase, and twin-turbo Lamborghini project also on-the-go, it seems that the rest of 2020 looks very busy for TheStradman indeed.

  • Designer goes viral for unnecessary in-car roof fan invention – Dexerto

Designer goes viral for unnecessary in-car roof fan invention Reddit: rightcoastguyDriving in the summer months can be an excruciating task, with the heat making driving more of a chore than it has to be — but one genius seems to have found the solution. Car modifications can be a costly venture, depending on what you’re wanting to do, but it definitely helps if you know what you’re doing and can keep costs low, as well as give your car the additions it needs. With the summer heat only going up, one savvy driver decided to give his car a rather unique new mod — and you’re unlikely to ever see it in another vehicle. Posting to Reddit, rightcoastguy posted the video of his latest creation — a ceiling fan for his car — and implied that it’s somewhat of a habit of his to “design unnecessary products.” It’s not exactly the easiest on the eye, and isn’t likely to become a popular feature in vehicles, but, at the very least, it appears functional — to a degree. The fan, as you can see, seems to move incredibly slow, so whether it’s even cooling the car is a big question. There’s a few safety concerns The video of him driving around with the fan operating behind him looks somewhat uncomfortable at best, so it’s doubtful that this invention will go mainstream any time soon. The spinning blades are only inches from grazing his head, begging the question of what would happen in an accident. While it looks uncomfortable for those in the front during ‘normal’ use, for those in the back it’s dangerous from the moment they set foot in the vehicle. If the passengers are on the taller side, they’re likely going to be hit in the head every few seconds. This isn’t something rightcoastguy hasn’t thought of, though. As expected, the comments on the post exploded with a mixture of genuine suggestions, witty taglines, and strange responses. Safety concerns aside, it appears that rightcoastguy has actually done a really good job of building this wacky invention; a perfect example of a terrible idea, with great execution.

  • DDE reveals insane hidden costs of owning a McLaren P1 – Dexerto

DDE reveals insane hidden costs of owning a McLaren P1 YouTube: DailyDrivenExoticsHaving purchased their first-ever hypercar, Dave and Damon from DDE were riding high on cloud nine. Unfortunately, they’re quickly discovering hypercar ownership has a number of insane hidden costs. Buying a McLaren P1 in itself is no mean feat. With the DailyDrivenExotics crew having done just that, they’re suddenly realizing its not just the purchase cost of the car that’s extortionate. Since the cars are being used for business (YouTube) they need to be commercially insured. While that doesn’t seem to be an issue for the other supercars, for the P1 it’s proving tricky. Speaking about the situation, Damon says “The P1 is proving a pain in the a** to insure. To be honest, we really didn’t think that through. To be honest, we’re not sure what to do.” Only one insurance option: ICBC Being based in BC, insurance is government-controlled and there is only the one option: ICBC. This means that for ‘core’ insurance to drive cars legally on the road, drivers can’t ‘shop around’ for the best deal. This is proving costly for the DDE team, as they didn’t consider this issue with the P1. Damon also reveals that for the famous ‘tire slayer’ Huracan they had on the channel, one year’s insurance was a whopping $18,000. This is partly due to being insured commercially for the channel, but that’s still an insane amount of money. Anywhere else, it should be “like $3500” for the year, for reference. The monthly insurance payments on the other cars are also insane. The 720 is $1200 per month, while the Gallardo is $950 per month. Clip starts at 6:06 “We kind of messed up on this one!” ICBC insurance does have a special path known as ‘rate group 98’ specifically designed for ‘luxury’ vehicles. Unfortunately, even this couldn’t save the P1. ICBC actually flat-out denied insuring the P1 for commercial use. Taken aback by the result, Damon admits: “We probably should’ve talked this over before we got the camera out!” “This car just went from being a kind of joke headache, to being like a legit headache. We kind of f****d up on this one, we didn’t realize this car [the P1] was going to be so hard to insure.” Damon also revealed that the monthly payments on the car are $37,000. That means that for a car that they can’t create content with (which in turn makes them money) it is, for now, just a fancy paperweight.

Clip starts at 9:15 It’s not often that a big-name channel such as DDE runs a giveaway, let alone one that’s free to enter. With the prize being such a desirable modern classic, if you have any interest in cars as a driver, collector, or even just for an investment, then you’d be daft not to enter. Unfortunately, the competition is only open to residents of the US, the District of Columbia, and Canada. Sadly residents in Quebec and Puerto Rico are unable to enter, as are entrants from anywhere else in the world. DailyDrivenExotics new headquarters teased It seems that Damon from the DDE crew has been especially busy behind-the-scenes in recent months. Having bought a hypercar, set up a competition, and produced numerous VLOGs for the channel, Damon reveals in the giveaway video that he is also moving house. With a garage capable of holding 6 cars included in his new property, Damon plans to install lifts to raise the capacity of the garage. This means that for the first time ever, all of the DDE fleet can be kept on his property in one place, rather than spread out across Canada. Beyond a quick glimpse of the house and the information about the garage plans above, Damon didn’t reveal any more information. Rest assured though, he did promise a “full walkthrough” video in the near future once they have moved in.

  • David Dobrik explains why a random stranger owns his Aston Martin – Dexerto

David Dobrik explains why a random stranger owns his Aston Martin YouTube: Vehicle Virgins / New Views Podcast HighlightsHaving revealed his gorgeous new Aston Martin DB11 in a ‘mukbang’ video earlier in 2020, David Dobrik has announced on his podcast that he doesn’t actually own the car at all. After ‘christening’ his new DB11 with plenty of fried chicken along with fellow YouTuber Ugh its Joe, David has now revealed it’s not actually his car at all. In his typical ‘matter of fact’ style, he announces “I just got a new car… it’s an Aston Martin” casually on the ‘Views’ podcast. However, not everything is as it seems. David explains that he “went to the place to get the car” but decided that he didn’t actually want to own it long-term. Buying the car for just three months? Asking the dealership if it was possible to buy the car “just for three months.” He also stated that he’d “plug them on Instagram” before mentioning that he would indeed pay them for the three months, as expected. Explaining why he wanted it for such a short time, David said “I’m going to get bored of it.” Being able to simply ‘get bored’ with an exotic car after three months isn’t a bad problem to have, but it did present an issue for Dobrik. Unfortunately for David, the dealer said their ‘entire business model’ was built on people “getting bored of their sports cars.” This meant that he would have to buy or lease the car, and then go through the arduous selling process in a few months time. As luck would have it, an anonymous wealthy fan happened to be in the dealership at the same time. David goes on to explain how the fan gave him his card, said they should collaborate on something and left. Later on, the generous stranger actually texted him to follow up on their conversation. Clip starts at 0:40 “Do you want me to buy the car?” Saying “Hey, do you want me to just… buy the car, and I’ll just lease the car out to you” the text caught David by surprise. This situation not only solved Dobrik’s long-term car commitment issue, but also allowed the benefactor to pursue one of his own dreams of starting an exotic car rental company. By leasing the car off of the anonymous buyer, David is able to own the Aston Martin for as long as he wants, and then simply hand it back to the buyer when he is done with it. While it is an unusual situation, many YouTubers finance their cars and pay monthly, so in reality, this is no different.

  • Daniel Craig’s insane multi-million-dollar car collection revealed – Dexerto

Daniel Craig’s insane multi-million-dollar car collection revealed NewspressWith a reported net worth of $205m, actor Daniel Craig has some incredible cars in his garage, including a few worthy of James Bond himself. YouTuber Seb Delanney explored the highlights of Craig’s collection in his September 21 video. Best-known for his role as British spy extraordinaire James Bond in the Bond film franchise, actor Daniel Craig has spent a considerable amount of his reported net worth on his incredible car collection. Having played a role known for his style, sophistication, and suave nature, it is only natural that his taste in expensive luxury and exotic cars follows suit. Allegedly this is partly since he has been gifted cars following his film roles, which explains the strong ‘bond vibes’ running through the collection. Strong British influence Starting off with a strong British influence, Craig has been seen driving around in a thoroughly retro Jaguar XJ on Italian plates. While not the most expensive car, it is undeniably classy. Ever a fan of Aston Martin, Craig also reportedly owns an Aston Martin DBS which was given to the actor as a gift. One of the last manual V12 Astons, the DBS now goes for around $128k, but cost a significant amount more when new. Sticking with the Bond theme, Daniel is the custodian of an original Aston Martin DB5, made famous in the ‘Goldfinger’ Bond film. Luxury SUV gifts While Craig’s doesn’t feature the incredible gadgets seen on the film car or the recreation cars, original DB5s cost around $1-1.2 million, making this an incredible collector’s item. If his DB5 is indeed a certified movie car, it could be worth significantly more — up to $6.3m in fact. Alongside his exotic British supercars, DC was also given a Range Rover Sport. Starting from $80k, Daniel’s was a gift, and therefore likely to be loaded up with options that would raise the price of this luxury SUV significantly above the base RRP. Daniel is understandably quiet about his car collection which means that information is hard to come by. That said, if these cars are anything to go by, Craig probably has an even more incredible collection of cars than we know about… very fitting for Bond himself.

  • DDE & Stradman unveil their $1m+ McLaren and Bugatti hypercars – Dexerto

DDE & Stradman unveil their $1m+ McLaren and Bugatti hypercars YouTube: DailyDrivenExotics / TheStradmanIn a hypercar double-bill on YouTube, automotive vloggers DailyDrivenExotics and TheStradman have revealed their latest garage additions. For TheStradman, this has been months in the making, for DDE, it comes as a surprise to nearly everyone. Buying an ultra-rare, ultra-exclusive hypercar is a big milestone in life; For some, it takes months of planning, preparation, and searching, for others, it seems almost spontaneous. Showcasing both types of approach on their respective YouTube channels, both DailyDrivenExotics and TheStradman have revealed their new hypercars – a McLaren P1 for DDE, and a Bugatti Veyron for TheStradman. DailyDrivenExotics’ “Surreal” new McLaren P1 In a video that has taken their viewers by surprise; Dave and Damon from DailyDrivenExotics have revealed their first-ever hypercar; The McLaren P1. Having had a joint test-drive with this exact P1 and a McLaren Senna a while back, it seemed that nothing had come of their hypercar search. Well, it turns out that the DDE crew had in fact bought the exact McLaren P1 that featured in the video. Discussing their choice to buy the $1.7m USD hypercar; Damon called the moment “so surreal” while adding that it is indeed a big financial risk for the channel. Dave does explain that they chose the P1 as an “investment” with the hope the value will go up over time. It seems that the boys are still pressing forward with their plans to build a road-going Lamborghini Super Trofeo car, though it won’t be with the current “tire slayer” Huracan. Instead, they have listed the “tire slayer” for sale at $199,000 and are looking to base their next build on a Huracan Evo. The 720s is also apparently sticking around, so we can expect a double-feature video with that and the new P1 in the near future. TheStradman’s “dream” Bugatti Veyron Having teased viewers for months on end, the day has finally come for TheStradman as he unveils his first hypercar: The 2008 Bugatti Veyron. Many subscribers suspected that TheStradman would buy a Bugatti; With the opinion split between whether he would buy a P1 or a Veyron as his first hypercar. The story of his YouTube channel is one of rags-to-riches; From filming Veyrons while living in his Audi TT, to being behind the wheel of his own Bugatti Veyron a number of years later; It’s an automotive fairytale come to life. His excitement is clear to see throughout the reveal video, with Stradman saying it is a “childhood dream come true” to be unveiling his own hypercar. Unusually, the car was delivered in a crate, so he was able to do a literal ‘unboxing’ of his new Veyron, much to the amusement of his fans. The car in question is a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, complete with the quad-turbocharged, 8l W16 engine putting out over 1000hp from factory. In typical Stradman style, it seems even the Veyron won’t escape modification, dropping a not-so-subtle hint about having to replace the “lousy” exhaust during the first ‘drive’. Given that the Veyron is a “dream car” and worth a considerable amount, it is unlikely we’ll see any crazy modifications; Though a new exhaust and perhaps even the trademark ‘grape’ wrap may well make an appearance.

  • DailyDrivenExotics questioned by police over alleged street racing – Dexerto

DailyDrivenExotics questioned by police over alleged street racing YouTube: DailyDrivenExotics[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]Supercar owner and YouTube personality Damon of DailyDrivenExotics is known for his vast collection of modified vehicles, but sometimes these incredible machines attract the wrong kind of attention, and this time the cops got involved. Unfortunately living in a quiet, residential area with high-performance supercars is likely to annoy one or two of the local residents. It seems not everyone appreciates the sound of a high-strung V10 Lamborghini being cold-started next door to their house in the early hours of the morning. This time Damon and his friends really riled up their neighbors though, as one local resident went as far as calling the cops on the DDE crew, apparently reporting them for street racing in the local area. Tipped off by a text message While at a gathering, Damon gets passed a text warning him that there’s a cop posted up outside the house who has been checking out the cars and seemingly inspecting them. Thankfully there doesn’t seem to be any malicious intent or foul play here, as the police officer is very calm and upfront with Damon and the crew. He goes on to explain that an ‘elderly’ neighbor had complained about the crew street racing in the local area along with other ‘ongoing’ issues. From what the DDE crew can figure out, it seems the resident is unhappy with the loud exhaust systems on the cars. They go on to explain to the officer that since the exhaust systems are so loud, many people think that the cars are traveling far quicker than they actually are. “Would you like to hear them?” Damon even offers to start the cars for the officer to “see what they sound like” but predictably the officer declines, stating he “knows what they sound like” – likely in an attempt to keep things quiet for the other neighbors in the small hours of the morning. Thankfully it is all resolved amicably and the cop leaves cheerfully and without issuing any tickets, even going as far as fulfilling Damon’s request for “lights” when leaving so that he could get a thumbnail for his video!

  • DailyDrivenExotics ‘harassed’ by police for driving supercars – Dexerto

DailyDrivenExotics ‘harassed’ by police for driving supercars Instagram: @dave_ddeThe DailyDrivenExotics (DDE) team doesn’t have the best of luck when it comes to dealing with cops. Unfortunately, it seems their bad luck streak continues, with the DDE team being ‘harrased’ by cops while parked up with other supercars. Sharing their journey via the DDE Instagram page, Damon and Dave showed a group of supercars parked up at Lake Louise while taking a break from a cross-country road trip. Given that the cars were parked up innocently and amongst other cars, there shouldn’t be any cause for concern. It seems that one police officer took exception to this, however, with Damon confronting the cop over why he was taking down information and photographing the supercars without any crimes being committed. “I wanna be able to have your info” In the video shared on the DDE Instagram, the cop can be seen photographing the number plates of the parked-up supercars, apparently taking great interest in the minor details about them. Having approached the cop with a friendly “how’s it going?” Damon asks why they’re taking photos of a blacked-out Nissan GTR R35. It seems that this cop is suspicious of the drivers’ behavior, saying “if you fly past me fast enough I can’t get the plates, and I wanna be able to have your info.” By assuming that the drivers of these supercars will “fly by” the police, this cop is questioning the DDE crew and their friends and taking information based only upon the cars that they are driving. You can see the Instagram videos starting at 7:00 in this Life of Palos video: No crimes committed When asked why he didn’t photograph a Kia SUV, he simply says “my Chevy can catch the Kia” furthering the assumption that these supercar owners will drive recklessly. The officer then says he’s “seen [the DDE] YouTube channel, so I figured I should get some information” working on the assumption the drivers would be performing stunts or driving recklessly. Having admitted that no crimes were committed and no calls were made, there was no further action. In a post on Dave’s Instagram account, it seems that they did run into more trouble later in the day, so expect to see a full ‘Cops vs DDE’ style video soon.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo’s insane supercar collection will blow you away – Dexerto

Cristiano Ronaldo’s insane supercar collection will blow you away Instagram: @cristianoCristiano Ronaldo is a sporting legend, and it turns out he’s not too bad at being a car collector either. His collection is one big toy box, ranging from supercars to hypercars and ultra-luxurious rides, worth in excess of $12 million. World-renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo needs no introduction. One of the most famous names in the sport, Ronaldo is a legend among both fans of the sport and outsiders. With an estimated net worth of around $460 million to his name, Cristiano isn’t shy to spend it on his incredible car collection. With so many different supercars in his fleet, we’ve picked out some of the highlights from this jaw-dropping collection. Cristiano Ronaldo’s supercar collection Ronaldo has a plethora of different supercars in his collection. So many in fact, he could have one for every day of the week, and still have a number of cars left in the garage. One of his most ‘under the radar’ cars is a Chevrolet Camaro. Given that these retail for around $55k, that’s bargain-basement territory for the football star. He also has a Mercedes GLE63s AMG for ‘incognito’ trips, along with a classily spec’d Porsche 911 Turbo, which he bought back in 2016. Climbing up the supercar ladder, Cristiano has a number of Ferraris in his car collection. He appears to be a big fan of the Italian brand, with a 599 GTO and F12 TDf in his garage. He also had a 599 GTB Fiorano back in the 2000s, but it is unclear whether he still owns this car. Elsewhere, Ronaldo has a number of individual cars from different brands. A McLaren Senna is one of the most extreme supercars in his collection, while a Lamborghini Aventador offers a more ‘brutish’ taste of high-speed travel for CR7. Along with his supercars, he has a number of luxurious cars to travel around in style. A Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe and Cullinan both feature in his fleet, perfect for wafting around in utter luxury. Cristiano Ronaldo’s hypercars While his supercar collection is mighty impressive, nothing quite compares to the hypercars in Cristiano’s collection. Featuring not one, not two, but three Bugattis, you can tell that the Portuguese star is one of the top-paid footballers on the planet. His Bugatti Veyron was the first hypercar that he added to his collection. At one time the fastest production car in the world, the Veyron has over 1000hp and can reach a top speed of over 250mph. Next up was the Bugatti Chiron. Successor to the Veyron, the Chiron cost CR well in excess of $2 million to buy. He also customized this Bugatti, with his trademark ‘CR7’ logo on both the headrests and the exterior of the car. Finally, the most insane car in his collection is the Bugatti Centodieci. With only ten made, Ronaldo now owns one of the rarest cars in the world. Costing a staggering $9.4 million dollars, it will take pride of place in his collection once it is delivered.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo buys the world’s most expensive car – Dexerto

Cristiano Ronaldo buys the world’s most expensive car Ronaldo photo: Iamalwayshere on WikimediaSerie A star and soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo is famed for his collection of multi-million dollar supercars, but his latest purchase blows them all out of the water. Say hello to the world’s most expensive car – the Bugatti Centodieci. Fresh from celebrating Juventus’ ninth Serie A title in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo understandably wants to commemorate the occasion. Unlike the rest of us who may buy a watch or other sentimental item, he chose instead to purchase one of only 10 Bugatti Centodieci’s in the world. Not only is the Centodieci one of the rarest cars ever produced, but it is also the most expensive production car ever to go on sale. Costing a staggering $9.4 million, the Bugatti Centodieci will take pride-of-place in Ronaldo’s incredible collection. It’s not like Ronaldo will have difficulty paying for such an incredible car though, as his team Juventus paid a mind-blowing $99 million for his four-year contract. Ronaldo’s incredible car collection Ronaldo already owns a Bugatti Chiron (itself costing $3 million) on which this 1-of-10 hypercar is based, as well as a number of other supercars. The Centodieci does have a number of key features and differences from the Chiron that make it worth the extortionate price tag. The main talking point of the Centodieci is of course the gorgeous exterior styling, designed to emulate and pay homage to the legendary Bugatti EB110. Immediately separating the Centodieci from the Chiron on which it’s based; The styling looks like something from a sci-fi movie with its sharp angles, full-width rear lights, and plentiful use of vents and air ducts around the body. Over 1,000hp It’s rear-mid mounted W16 engine features a quad-turbocharger setup producing 1,600hp – an increase of 100hp over the Chiron. The Centodieci also crushes 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, going on to a top speed of 236mph. Despite his elevated status and worldwide fame, Ronaldo will have to get in line and wait for his new hypercar just like the rest of Bugattis customers. Deliveries are expected to start in 2021, though the upcoming Juventus Champions League run should keep him occupied for the time being.

  • Hilarious modified ‘thinny’ car goes viral on TikTok – Dexerto

Hilarious modified ‘thinny’ car goes viral on TikTok TikTok: vistoenlasredes74In a classic case of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should” it seems that engineers have created a bizarre ‘thinny’ car out of a cut-up Volkswagen Polo. This whacky creation has now gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 1 million views. In the modified car community, hot-rod creators often build what are known as ‘shorty’ cars. Taking the front and rear sections of a vehicle and removing the centre section, they are grafted together to form a comically shortened, yet still (somewhat) drivable car. It seems that the engineers that built this unusual vehicle took their design and quite literally turned it around, choosing to narrow rather than shorten their car. A crazy idea, but well executed Posted to TikTok by user vistoenlasredes74, this whacky creation has since amassed over 1.3m views. Based on what appears to be a 2005 Volkswagen Polo, the once-practical small hatchback has been reduced to a two-seater, tandem-style car. The entire centre section of the car has been removed, with only the outermost sections being welded back together resulting in an almost sci-fi appearance. This ‘thinny’ is very thin indeed, with the vehicle itself being only a fraction wider than the drivers seat. It’s so small in fact, that the front and rear axles protrude significantly from the body of the car, with a good third of the wheels’ width being exposed. Clearly the car is not road legal (despite being driven on what appears to be public roads) as there are no number plates to be seen, nor would a vehicle like this pass a safety examination. Safety concerns aside, it does seem like the build has been well executed. A smooth join runs down the entire body shell, while custom front and rear windscreens look impressively factory-fresh; Clearly the builders took great pride in their unusual creation. It seems to be fully functional too, with both driver and passenger appearing to be comfortably seated within the vehicle. Being so narrow and tall, the driving dynamics are likely to have been seriously compromised by the modifications, but it is unlikely this has been built with handling prowess in mind. Despite the obvious drawbacks of the design, both driver and passenger seem to have enjoyed the ride, let’s just hope that they don’t drive past any traffic inspectors.

  • CouRage unveils his new Lamborghini “dream car” and it’s incredible – Dexerto

CouRage unveils his new Lamborghini “dream car” and it’s incredible @CouRageJD/Twitter100 Thieves content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop unveiled his brand new Lamborghini Urus on Twitter – and the supercar is even decked out in his org’s trademark red and black. CouRage revealed earlier he had ordered the Lambo nine months prior, and was expecting the delivery to happen the week of August 21. Apparently, it arrived right on time. Lamborghini’s first time making a ‘Super SUV’, the same kind of Urus CouRage got, is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine putting out 641hp and smashing 0-60 in under four seconds. Starting at $220k, with its additional options, the price could easily exceed a quarter of a million dollars. The content creator said the SUV was a “great mix of luxury, speed, and sex appeal,” and after seeing what the finished product looks like, we’re definitely inclined to agree. In the YouTube video documenting CouRage picking up his new whip, he revealed he was at the Lambo dealership getting the keys at the same time that TimTheTatman managed to win his first game of Fall Guys. Tim’s Odyssey aside though, the streaming star revealed that, while he loves the iconic two-seater sports cars Lamborghini’s famous for, when it came to his personal vehicle, he wanted something a little more practical. “My vision with it was I wanted something with space, that I could fit friends in, drive around, go on a road trip,” he said. “While I do love the two-seater, low to the ground cars, I just didn’t want it as something I’d be driving on a daily basis.” The features CouRage chose to trick out his Lambo with would put Xzibit and Pimp My Ride to shame. Take, for example, the seats, which actually have a massage chair feature built right in. It also has settings for any kind of terrain or driving you could possibly imagine, from sport to off-roading in the snow. A large touchscreen on the dash basically controls almost every feature of the car, including the heated/cooled/massage seats, GPS system, and the interior lighting. As anyone would do with a brand new quarter of a million-dollar vehicle, the streamer went and picked up some of his friends to show it off. With 100 Thieves founder Matthew “Nadeshot” Hagg along for the ride, he really opened it up to see what the Urus had under the hood. Awesome features and technical specs aside though, the new Lambo owner put it very simply: “It’s fast, it looks good, it sounds great, and that’s what matters to me.” As for what kind of content will be using his new ride to produce remains to be seen, but he did ask fans to leave suggestions on what he should name her, and yes, according to CouRage, his Urus is a she.

  • CoD pro Crimsix shows off driving skill on track in his Porsche GT3 RS – Dexerto

CoD pro Crimsix shows off driving skill on track in his Porsche GT3 RS YouTube/Twitch: CrimsixIan ‘Crimsix’ Porter is a renowned Call of Duty pro player, but it turns out he’s also a natural when it comes to pushing high-performance sports cars to the limit. In his latest video, he answers the question of whether he can ‘DRIVE, DRIVE’ with great success. Although his YouTube channel is centered around Call Of Duty, Crimsix also has a love for Porsche, with his GT3 RS being put through its paces to showcase his driving prowess. Taking his high-performance Miami Blue Porsche GT3 RS to a track day to dust the cobwebs off, it is immediately obvious that Crimsix is as quick behind the wheel as he is in front of the screen. With 33 LAN event wins to his name, it makes sense that someone with a love for high-octane action in the virtual world would share that love in the real world, and what a way to experience it. Showcasing his on-track skill The Porsche GT3 RS makes a perfect track car thanks to its lightweight nature and free-revving flat-six engine, but it does still take a lot of skill and precision to make the most of its precision German engineering. Thankfully, Porter has skill in spades. Despite opting to leave the transmission in automatic as opposed to shifting with the paddles, he clearly has a fantastic intuition for keeping the car at the limits of its performance without going too far ‘over the top.’ There are a few sketchy moments where the GT3 RS tried to bite back, most notably at 5:48, but his experience and skill behind the wheel came into play, and disaster was quickly averted. It appears that the slide didn’t phase him at all, as he was quickly back on the tail of the car in front. Sadly open track days have strict rules on passing, meaning that racing overtakes are strictly forbidden. Instead of passing at will, he had to wait for the car in front to move over and signal to overtake before he could floor the accelerator and send the Porsche flying past them. Showcasing plenty of driving skills, clipping apexes, finding the racing line on the circuit, and giving a very impressive display of car control; It seems the answer is yes, yes a pro CoD player can ‘DRIVE, DRIVE.’

  • Cleetus McFarland takes beastly 900 HP Mustang GT500 for a spin – Dexerto

Cleetus McFarland takes beastly 900 HP Mustang GT500 for a spin Cleetus McFarlandFans of American cars can usually be divided into two categories: those who prefer Chevy, and Ford fans – but the 2020 Mustang GT500 may have just won over auto YouTuber and Chevrolet enthusiast Cleetus McFarland. Even before getting the heavily modified orange muscle car out on the track, McFarland had to admit that it was the “best looking Mustang” he’d ever seen. The car didn’t just look slick, either: apparently it has an app for everything under the sun, including burnouts, which look just as sick whether computer-controlled or not. “That was a really good burnout,” the YouTuber admitted after pulling off the stunt. “It gave me a timer, everything, and then you hit the OK button and your foot is literally off the brake and it starts to pull forward.” A quick test drive around some back roads was enough to put a smile on the Chevy fan’s face before he even got the purring monster out on the official track. Once on the racetrack, the Mustang’s 900 horsepower was finally able to come out and play, and it didn’t take long for McFarland to realize this was one bad machine. “Oh my god, this thing is incredibly fast, it’s really fast!” the Floridian said as he whipped around the course. “Good god dude, the brakes are so good too.” To finish things off, McFarland did his best to vaporize what was left of the Mustang’s tires with a burnout run that almost made the vehicle look like it was on fire. “Overall, this is the best Mustang I’ve ever driven,” McFarland admitted. “I think 82 (thousand dollars) is a bit up there, but it’s going to be an amazing car to have.” As the video mentions, the $82,000 price tag might put this car out of range for most buyers, but it still looks like a ton of fun to get behind the wheel if you get the chance.

  • Chris Harris reveals scary extent of hate messages after joining Top Gear – Dexerto

Chris Harris reveals scary extent of hate messages after joining Top Gear BBC/ YouTube: The Late Brake ShowChris Harris is a journalist, a font of car knowledge, and now presenter of BBC’s Top Gear. However, it didn’t exactly go smoothly for Harris on his first season of Top Gear, as revealed during an episode of The Late Brake Show on YouTube. Chris Harris is a household name for any petrolhead. From his days at Autocar magazine to his YouTube series Chris Harris On Cars, the man is a walking encyclopedia of four-wheeled knowledge. Having been asked to join the Top Gear team following the departure of Clarkson, Hammond, and May, Harris took the BBC up on their offer, but it didn’t get off to the smoothest of starts. With Clarkson et al having built up such a dedicated fanbase during their time on Top Gear, replacing them was always going to be tricky. In theory, Chris Harris was a perfect choice, but it seems the British public didn’t always share that opinion, as discussed with Jonny Smith on an episode of The Late Brake Show. Chris Harris on Top Gear While the first ‘new’ top gear team of Chris Evans, Chris Harris, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid, and Eddie Jordan first hit screens, there was an expected backlash from long-time fans of the show. However, it turns out that the backlash went beyond passing comments about how people ‘preferred the old show.’ Chris revealed that he had received a number of personal, direct hate-mail messages and that he had “never experienced hate like it” during his first season on Top Gear, as “once the population wants to hate something… you’re in trouble.” Harris admitted that he wrote openly at the time to say “anyone who takes on Top Gear [after the original team left] were psychotic” and yet despite that, he took the job, though he admits he “still stands by that” when referring to his statement. Clip begins at 11:15 “Top Gear is a complicated brand” Chris was no stranger to the task ahead of him, however: “Top Gear is a complicated brand because it has an interesting legacy” though he openly states that the first series he did with Chris Evans was “not a good experience for any of us.” Discussing that first season, he says it was a “bumpy ride… but I’m glad I did it because 17-year-old me would’ve been profoundly disappointed if I hadn’t given it a go!” Not only that, but he also spoke of his friendship with one-time co-host Matt LeBlanc: “He’s a great bloke and genuinely loves his cars… he’s been a really good friend to me through a difficult time. I needed someone with his level of experience to help navigate resurrecting a brand (Top Gear).” Thankfully, he has now settled into the role of Top Gear presenter alongside Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff, who Chris admits is one of his “heroes.” Hopefully, this means the hate has stopped too, as the trio – individually or as a unit – have certainly re-invented the Top Gear show and made it their own.

  • Casey Neistat blown away by “spaceship-like” electric Mercedes – Dexerto

Casey Neistat blown away by “spaceship-like” electric Mercedes TikTok / YouTube: CaseyNeistatPopular YouTuber Casey Neistat has hit headlines after returning to YouTube to create daily vlogs. With him, he brings a wealth of previously-unseen footage, such as the time he drove the incredible Mercedes EQS electric car. With more governments shifting towards outlawing internal combustion engines, electric vehicles (EVs) are looking to become the de facto mode of transport in the future. In his September 25 video, YouTuber Casey Neistat reveals he was invited to drive the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS concept back at the start of 2020. Reflecting on his most popular TikTok to date being a short clip of the EQS, Neistat chose to use the footage to build up a ‘vlog’ style video. “What’s the point?” Immediately it is obvious that the Vision EQS is unlike any other EV seen on the road today. While only a concept car, Mercedes are actually building a production version of the all-electric vehicle. Unfortunately, the production version is unlikely to be as polarizing as the concept. The interior is perhaps the most striking part. Clad in white leather, the raked-back seats, ambient lighting, fighter-jet steering wheel, and glass canopy look like something from Star Trek or Tron. Casey is shocked upon experiencing it for the first time, saying “this is like a spaceship!” While behind the wheel of the EQS, Neistat asks the Mercedes representative “what’s the point in building such a fancy car, if you’re never going to actually make it?” One of the coolest EVs of 2020 They answer stating that they will in fact build a car “similar to [the EQS] but not exactly like it.” Mercedes have now followed through with their promise, and the production version is expected in 2021. Powered by electricity only, the production version will have over 460hp (equivalent) from its electric motors. Not only that, but Mercedes says it will have a 435-mile range, and be built in a carbon-neutral factory. Without a doubt, this is one of the coolest EV concepts seen during 2020. Casey says it’s “not lost on him” that he gets to experience such “amazing things” as this. With his recent return to YouTube and his daily vlogs, we might see more unreleased footage of the car at some point.

  • Mercedes-AMG G63 difference in car models explained by CarWow – Dexerto

Mercedes-AMG G63 difference in car models explained by CarWow Mercedes has been hard at work developing new ways to bring performance and speed to their iconic G63 SUV series, and YouTube gearhead Mat ‘CarWow’ Watson revealed just how much the upgrades have helped the model in a high-speed drag race between the 2013 and 2018 cars. The luxury G63 SUV has a long lineage, with Mercedes taking key elements from their 1979 design all the way to today. Now, for the first time in nearly four decades, the SUV formerly known as the G-Wagen has a new lease on life. The high-end London car hasn’t actually had too many upgrades in regards to its exterior, with most tweaks under the hood. So, of course, Watson just had to pit the “old school” version against the 2018 G63 in a high-speed drag race. Watson faced off against his bright red G63 behind the wheel of the “archaic” 2013 update, and the differences between the “more powerful” new model revealed themselves as soon as they put the pedal down in the race. Out on a landing strip, the 2018 release clocked up a pacey 12.4 seconds, smoking Watson and his seven-year-old car by 1.1 seconds. While the newer vehicle winning was no surprise, the YouTuber was left stunned by the difference. “Blooming heck!” he said, as the red G63 zoomed off in front of him. “That one has just lifted its nose and buggered the f**k off! That’s interesting, I’ve done quite a lot of drag races in my MG63… this was a bit sketchy, bouncing over the tarmac.” “They’re quite similar off the line, but that one [the new model] just smashed this one off the line. That is progress for you,” he added, and admitted he was impressed with how well the newer model’s smaller engine—4L vs 5.5L—held up in the race. That wasn’t the only thing Watson tested during the matchup either, and while the 2018 release did shine in most speed and starting categories, the legacy 2013 series did closely matchup in a few of the tests, including breaking. Both cars skidded to a halt in the test, and while the 2018 series did come to a full stop moments before the black older model, it was close. Carwow’s host admitted he was impressed, especially considering the year difference. “That was the most surprising result yet… I didn’t win, but I wasn’t hammered,” he said after slamming on the breaks. “This old girl actually breaks really well. I thought it would be way worse, though that new car does break really well too.” For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 3:01 in the video below. In all other head-to-head features, except the sound of the 2013 version, the newer model did win out. Steering controls, comfort inside the car, and suspension all shone in the 2018 G63, and Watson declared he was “amazed by the overall difference” Mercedes had managed in the five-year gap. While Carwow’s host may not have been entirely sold by how the older model has held up, there’s no reason 2013’s release shouldn’t go well for city-dwellers either — the newer model may have beaten the old, but both are still great cars.

  • Carwow drag race reveals which Tesla is best: Model 3, Model X, Model S – Dexerto

Carwow drag race reveals which Tesla is best: Model 3, Model X, Model S TeslaPopular UK car sales and comparison site carwow put Tesla’s three different models – the Model 3, Model X and Model S – to the test in a drag race, to finally find out which is the best once and for all. Although each Tesla model features glaring similarities when it comes to design and features, obviously they’re all different to fulfill varying needs. While the Model S is what really put Tesla on the map as an automaker back in 2012, since then the Model 3 has come out as a more affordable alternative so, as expected, might have a little less power behind it. The Model X is an SUV-style vehicle but doesn’t look much different from the Model S – at least, it doesn’t really look like an SUV. Each model comes in a Long-Range or a Performance edition, but for the sake of the test race, the Performance version of each car was used. The Model S completed carwow’s quarter-mile race in 11.4 seconds, while the Model X took 11.5 seconds and the Model 3 did 11.8 seconds, so there really isn’t much disparity between each model when it comes to a quick, simple test of speed over a short range. However, the rainy conditions slowed down the Model S and Model X slightly, whereas the Model 3 didn’t seem affected by the wet tarmac at all, making it slightly more desirable if you live somewhere where you might encounter rain somewhat regularly. Finally, during a brake test, the Model 3 managed to come to a stop quite a lot quicker than the other two, which is to be expected considering it is the lightest of the three models. However, the Model S and Model X were extremely close, too much so for carwow themselves to call a second place. Host Mat Watson says that in his eyes the Model 3 is the winner, because it’s “not far off in terms of performance” but also considerably cheaper than the other models, clocking in at £52,990 ($67,735) as opposed to £97,890 ($125,130) for the Model X and £93,290 ($119,250) for the Model S. It will be interesting to see how the Tesla Model Y fits in here, with the vehicle expected to enter production in mid-late 2020 in the US. The Model Y is expected to fill the gap between the Model 3 and the Model X as a compact SUV, so expect similar capabilities. Of course, the Cybertruck likely won’t be powered for these kinds of tests since it’s not supposed to be a Performance-centric vehicle, but it would be interesting to see how it compares.

  • Cops pull over McLaren 720S moments after leaving RDB LA – Dexerto

Cops pull over McLaren 720S moments after leaving RDB LA RDB LA – YouTubeRDB LA fixed up a luxury McLaren 720S car, and just as the client took to the streets of Los Angeles, they were pulled over by police within seconds. Driving a flashy vehicle can quickly get the attention of people on the street, but unfortunately, that also means you can catch the eye of the police. This is exactly what happened just moments after RDB LA brought the McLaren out. In a February 6 video, the auto shop crew filmed the client pulling out of a parking lot, passing right by a police officer who was stopped at a traffic light. The officer immediately pulled a U-turn and quickly caught up to pull the vehicle over, all in the course of about 10 seconds. The YouTube group got a kick out of this and even caught up to the driver to film the encounter. At one point, a car slowed down during the traffic stop and shouted out the window about how great the Los Angeles car shop is. RDB LA’s Vik and Mano managed to talk the cop out of impounding the car by catching up on a scooter of all things, which brings some good news to the surprise encounter. “It’s a nice try, he tried taking the car,” Mano explained. “Nice try. Next time, buddy.” (Quote begins at 1:22) It’s a good thing the impounding didn’t happen because Vik is a big fan of the McLaren 720S and would’ve surely been bummed to see it go, especially since it’s for a client they just worked with. He even explained back in January that he would actually take the car over the more expensive Lamborghini Aventador. Of course, it’d be hard to go wrong with either vehicle, but his reasoning came down to simple things like the 720S being a smoother ride and its top speed is a little bit faster. RDB LA is a popular spot for celebrities to get their cars tuned up in Los Angeles, and the store even calls itself the city’s premier car shop. Local celebrities such as Logan Paul, Chris Brown, and others have brought their vehicles in for a look in the past. Its safe to say that fans appreciate the chance at getting an inside look at what goes into repairs for these expensive cars, all thanks to the unique YouTube channel.

  • Car YouTuber rich list: Supercar Blondie tops richest car influencers – Dexerto

Car YouTuber rich list: Supercar Blondie tops richest car influencers Instagram: supercarblondie[jwplayer 8DEtsRyX]A report on the top 10 highest earning car influencers on the internet has revealed Australian YouTuber Supercar Blondie tops the list by quite some margin. While you might think social media nowadays is dominated by gamers, celebrities and TikTok dancers, there’s actually a huge market for car influencers showing off the latest supercars, reviewing popular vehicles and giving advice. According to this report, the top influencers are making some serious cash, too, with millions of subscribers and Instagram followers meaning certain people are having a decent payday at the end of each month. The list, which was curated and researched by GoCompare sees Supercar Blondie take the top spot by quite some margin estimating her yearly income at over $1.4m – including around £20,000 per Instagram post. She beats out the likes of Doug DeMuro, Colin Furze and even American comedian and former late-night TV host Jay Leno, who also feature among the top earners. Here’s the top 10 earners according to GoCompare, including how much they allegedly make per Instagram and YouTube post: Disclaimer: Earnings on YouTube/Instagram converted from GBP to USD at the time of writing. As you can see, according to the report, Blondie makes over twice as much as the next highest-earning car influencer Colin Furze, who allegedly makes around $640k a year from his YouTube and Instagram posts. It’s hard to believe Jay Leno makes so little in comparison to other car influencers from his posts, considering his celebrity, but we imagine he’s making his fair share outside of the realms of cars. Obviously, the list may not be completely accurate, so take it with a grain of salt, but it’s impressive nonetheless to see how well Supercar Blondie is doing for herself in the field — and she doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.

  • Car YouTuber reveals how much he makes and it’s impressive – Dexerto

Car YouTuber reveals how much he makes and it’s impressive YouTube: BurlacherFor many, YouTube is a fantastic source of entertainment. But, with so many full-time YouTubers making a viable career from the platform, it is often speculated how much YouTubers earn. Well, car YouTuber Burlacher has revealed exactly how much he makes from the video-sharing platform. YouTubers are often a misunderstood breed, with many thinking they have an ‘easy’ job, but the reality is very different. Between filming, editing, scheduling, and coming up with new content, the life of a YouTuber is actually very busy indeed. One such YouTuber in the car community is Burlacher, who has starred in a number of videos with TheStradman. With a number of subscribers asking about the amount he makes through his YouTube channel, Burlacher has now released a video detailing exactly what his income is through YouTube. Not only that, but he also breaks down the success and growth of his channel, to show that it is not an “overnight” success. How much car YouTubers earn per year For a spot of context, Burlacher started his channel in 2018, and started “taking it seriously” during 2019. While a number of his early videos are now hidden, he still shares with us the growth phase of the channel. With a current subscriber count of 225k, Burlacher had his channel monetized at the end of 2018. This in itself is an achievement, requiring 4000 viewing hours within the last year, and at least 1000 channel subscribers. In the closing months of 2018 after being monetized for the first time, he earned just over $400. While that isn’t an insane amount, it is still impressive given his relatively low subscriber count and lack of channel awareness at that point. During 2019 though, things spiraled rapidly. He does admit that he “had help” from his housemate James (TheStradman) which no doubt helped boost his public knowledge, along with the donation of his first camera from James. Clip starts at 6:00 In 2019, as the account was getting into its stride and he started taking YouTube seriously, he earned a total of $22,810.09. “It completely blew away any expectation I had” stated Burlacher. It was also a sporadic pattern to his earnings, as he explained: “When you’re not making the content, you’re not making revenue… it wasn’t overnight, it was just a slow, steady growth.” However, 2019 looks like pocket change compared to his 2020 revenue to date (Nov 18). In total, the revenue for Burlacher’s channel is a whopping $36,958.44 for the year so far – far more than the average US wage. In total, since the beginning of his channel, he has made just over $60,000.00 – impressive stuff for what many may consider to be a ‘smaller’ channel. With his continued growth and new content, there’s no doubt Burlacher’s channel, and therefore his earnings, will continue to grow.

  • Canada just can’t stop Moose licking cars and it’s actually a problem – Dexerto

Canada just can’t stop Moose licking cars and it’s actually a problem Twitter: _CLCampbellCanada is an incredible country. From gorgeous mountain ranges to breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife. Unfortunately, that wildlife can also cause problems, as this unusual and hilarious road traffic issue has proven. When you think of moose, most people consider them to be timid, occasionally daft creatures. Well, it seems that’s no longer the case, as these unfortunate motorists in Canada have discovered. With winter setting in and temperatures dropping below freezing, highways are beginning to be salted in preparation for those cold winter mornings. While it keeps motorists safe, this salt also has an unusual side effect – it attracts the local moose population. Moose are licking parked cars in Canada Because the salt from the roads naturally sprays up onto the bodywork of a car as it drives, it ends up coating the vehicle in a salty slush. While it’s well-known that it’s bad for a car to be covered in salt (it causes rust) it also appears to attract the local wildlife. Moose are seemingly attracted to these salty vehicles. This has resulted in a number of Twitter users posting to their accounts about strange encounters with Moose apparently trying to ‘eat’ their vehicles. There are a number of problems with this admittedly hilarious situation, though. The obvious issue is that the Moose are likely to damage the car while enjoying its salty coating, by scratching it with their antlers or teeth. This has the potential to cause thousands of dollars worth of damage, and some ‘interesting discussions’ with car ownership companies, as one Twitter user put it. If they are anything like horses, they will lick off the road salt from your car, but also scrape their teeth up and down your car in the process, carving off the paint, leaving a really interesting issue to discuss with the car rental company…. pic.twitter.com/XT2tDqeTGE — Dean Hamilton (@Tyburn__Tree) November 16, 2020 Hilarious warning signs Not only that, but there is also a wider impact on the environment. If enough Moose learn this behavior and begin to see cars as a source of food (despite having no nutritional content) they could become attracted to vehicles, rather than running away from them. In countries such as Canada, these animals present a major hazard while driving, as they are large, unpredictable, and have the potential to cause irreversible damage to vehicles. If they suddenly become non-afraid of cars, they may stop trying to move away from them on busy roads. Of course, the local road agencies in Alberta, Canada couldn’t just sit by and watch. They’ve rolled out unusual warning signs to alert motorists to the situation, but it’s such an unusual situation that the signs almost look like an April fools’ prank. Oh hi, moose. We have strict instructions about your snack habits. #jasper #Alberta 🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/xSNo7YBrXS — Carolyn Campbell (@_CLCampbell) November 15, 2020 Beyond the strangely dystopian nature of the warnings, there is a big issue here. Hopefully, 2020’s next big issue isn’t the great salt-fuelled moose rampage.

  • Brendan Schaub gets concussion after flipping truck attempting to do donuts – Dexerto

Brendan Schaub gets concussion after flipping truck attempting to do donuts YouTube: Tune TownFormer UFC fighter and comedian Brendan Schaub got a concussion after flipping his souped-up Ram TRX truck attempting to do donuts. Brendan Schaub is a well-known personality in both the entertainment space and the combat sports world, boasting experience in boxing and mixed martial arts. After a solid career in the UFC, Schaub retired from MMA in 2015 and has since gone on to become a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Over the last decade, Schaub has also played host to the podcast ‘The Fighter And The Kid,’ and documents his exploits online… one of which resulted in some minor injuries for the former fighter. Brendan Schaub totals truck in failed donut attempt On February 27, Schaub uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, ‘Tune Town,’ where he took his Ram TRX truck for a spin in Johnson Valley after getting it dolled up with new shocks. In an attempt to show off his updated suspension, Schaub decided to put his ride to the test… but things didn’t turn out too well. First, the comedian ended up getting stuck in a tall bed of silt sand in the valley, and needed help getting towed out — but that was far from the end of his bad luck. After being set free from the silt, Schaub attempted to do a donut. However, he ended up flipping his TRX instead, subsequently totalling the vehicle he’d just poured a ton of time and money into. In a clip from the video that’s going viral online, viewers can see Schaub’s head take a hit on the left side as the airbag deployed. Luckily, he was able to make it out of the truck in one piece, saying he only suffered a concussion and some bruising to his left arm. He explained that he’d forgotten to turn off the truck’s traction control, causing it to flip — something he was quite mournful about, given it was his “favorite” vehicle he’d ever owned. “Thank God I didn’t get seriously hurt,” he said. “I got a concussion, those suck. Definitely didn’t need another one. It could be a whole lot worse.” Overall, Schaub claimed that he learned a valuable lesson that day; he’s not a professional driver, and he has a “lot to learn” when it comes to the pastime in order to enjoy it safely, especially since he has children. Fans are happy to see that Schaub isn’t seriously injured, although some are clowning on him for his costly mistake.

  • Brand new Tesla’s roof falls off minutes after leaving dealership – Dexerto

Brand new Tesla’s roof falls off minutes after leaving dealership Tesla / Reddit: u/IndescribablesWhen buying a new car, the last thing you expect to be doing is returning it to the dealership less than an hour after collecting it. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to this Tesla Model Y owner after the glass roof fell out on the highway. Tesla has a somewhat troubled reputation with its quality control, with numerous stories about poor panel gaps and finish being easy to find. It seems that all of these complaints have fallen on deaf ears, however, since this Tesla Model Y driver discovered a shocking quality control fault. Its sibling, the Model X, has been reportedly losing bits of its roof due to an issue with the glue used to bond these parts. Sadly, it was not an isolated issue for the Model X alone, as the entire glass roof of this brand-new Tesla Model Y decided to jettison itself while driving down the highway. According to Reddit user Indescribables, he returned his Model Y to the dealership before he even managed to get it home. Apparently, the glass roof on the EV “just blew off” while driving down the highway. The only indicator was that the occupants of the car started hearing “a ton of wind” before realizing what had happened. After realizing what had happened and once the initial panic was over, the driver warned the police that there was a “car roof somewhere on the 580.” They then proceeded to return the faulty vehicle to the Tesla Service Center where they had collected it from only minutes before. Having arrived back at the Tesla center, there was a surprisingly stark diagnostic from the manager. Apparently, either the seal was ‘faulty’ or the factory “forgot to seal the roof on!” Whether they decided to get the fault fixed or simply return their Model Y is unknown. This is only the latest in a long line of Tesla quality issues, and they don’t seem to show any sign of slowing down. Still, at least nobody was hurt in this case.

  • Bill Gates explains the main problem with electric cars after buying one – Dexerto

Bill Gates explains the main problem with electric cars after buying one YouTube: Marques BrownleeIn an interview with tech YouTuber Marques ‘MKBHD’ Brownlee, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates revealed that he has bought his first-ever electric car, the Porshe Taycan, but thinks there is still a major obstacle for them. As one of the richest men in the world (second to be exact, according to the latest numbers), Bill Gates now spends much of his time working on his philanthropic efforts, focusing on climate change and global health. When discussing his work with Brownlee, Gates explained that electric vehicles are one of the most optimistic areas for reducing emissions, as they become increasingly popular. The business magnate says that many car manufacturers are moving “super fast” to do electric cars. “I just got a Porsche Taycan, which is an electric car – and I have to say, well it’s a premium price car, but it’s very, very cool. That’s my first electric car, and I’m enjoying it a lot.” But, Brownlee asks what, if anything, would put people off buying electric cars besides the price. Bill Gates explains that the main problem still facing electric vehicles is their range, as the batteries can only take them so far. “If you want to go long-distance, the pervasiveness of recharging, the time to recharge, compared to filling up a tank of gas,” he said. Topic starts at 5:00. “The amount of energy that’s going in per minute of filling your gas tank is kind of mindblowing,” Gates continued. “Gasoline is very dense energy – 30 times more dense than the current lithium battery.” There are also benefits of the electric car, besides just doing your bit for the environment. The Microsoft boss highlights reduced maintenance costs, as well as not having to pay for gas. However, insurance also comes at a premium on many electric cars, and the base price is still a fair bit higher than combustion-engine vehicles.

  • Biggest issue with the Corvette C8 according to Shmee150 – Dexerto

Biggest issue with the Corvette C8 according to Shmee150 YouTube: Shmee150Car YouTuber Tim ‘Shmee150’ Burton has explained what the one big issue is with the new 2020 Corvette C8 – despite how great the car is in almost every other aspect. Shmee’s car collection is one that could inspire envy in some of the most avid car collectors, ranging from a Ford Focus to a McLaren Senna, to a Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro, so he has plenty of knowledge on cars of all kind – and his opinion is worth something. In his February 20 upload, Shmee gets to have a run-around in Chevrolet’s new baby and explains that there is a significant flaw in the Stingray, even thought it has many impressive features. Running through the internal features of the mid-engined C8, discussing the feel of the different buttons and levers placed around the steering wheel, Shmee begins to analyze the controls, or the buttons on the center console – something he’s not particularly impressed with. “It does strengthen the car, there’s a functional reason for it,” he begins. “But I find it really hard to work out where the different buttons are.” Though these are all buttons you would commonly find in a car – temperature controls, fan direction and speeds for example – he says that the panel “impedes on the passenger’s legroom,” as they would have to rest their knees on the side of it. (Timestamp 16:25 for mobile users) He does say that this kind of makes sense – after all, the C8 is “a driver’s car” and not necessarily designed with passengers in mind. For someone like Shmee, this probably wouldn’t be an issue, but any more casual drivers that are looking for a fresh new drive may want to consider this if they have family or friends they regularly drive with. All this said, the Corvette does clock in at a more affordable price than some of its competitors, and this is something Shmee points out when giving viewers a rundown of the vehicle. The lowest cost 2020 Corvette Stingray would set the buyer back $59,995 but can cost over $110,000 if you want all the bells and whistles included. So while Shmee is evidently impressed with the C8, especially given its cheap price, he clearly thinks there are improvements to be made where the center console is concerned, at least if you’re not a solo driver. Shmee has a few vehicles arriving in his garage in 2020, including a BMW M8 Coupe Competition and a Mustang Shelby GT500, so his standards for what makes a great car may be slightly higher than the average person.

  • Best of r/IdiotsInCars: Most ridiculous driving fails caught on camera – Dexerto

Best of r/IdiotsInCars: Most ridiculous driving fails caught on camera Reddit: u/kevinowdziejDashcams, smartphones, and CCTV never fail to provide quality entertainment at other people’s expense. While the internet is full of videos showing that not everyone is the sharpest tack in the box, we’ve rounded up five of the best for your entertainment. Reddit bills itself as “The front page of the internet” and it certainly delivers. With everything from funny cat videos to breaking news and just about anything else you can think of; Reddit can be somewhat of a maze to try and navigate. Thankfully, there’s an entire subreddit dedicated to people caught on camera doing silly things while driving or working on their car. Since this is such a jam-packed subreddit, here’s five highlights to start you off on your Reddit journey. 5. Who needs ratchet straps? “If it works, it isn’t stupid” is an unwritten law that many on Reddit seem to live by, but this method of securing a load falls firmly into the ‘stupid’ category. Foregoing ropes and ratchet straps for sheer manpower and willing, the driver of this pickup seen by u/BoomerJ3T has elected a willing mate to hold down their load of a motorbike and what appears to be a truck tire. Whether this was a desperate last-ditch attempt at rescuing the biker or just an act of pure laziness, it definitely deserves its place on our list. 4. Would they call AAAA? Or AAAAAA? What happens when the rescuers need rescuing? Well, it seems they just call a colleague. Imagine the embarrassment of having to be saved by the very service you work for while attending a call out for work. Oh dear. This photo posted by u/Kanamuna24 shows a member of AAA rescuing one of their own after the attendant managed to lock their keys in the van. What makes it even funnier is that the one that locked themselves out the van was actually attending an incident involving the exact same situation; Now that’s a bad day at the office. 3. Trucks can’t swim While it’s well-known that trucks are indeed significantly more useful off-road than normal cars, that doesn’t mean they’re totally undefeatable, as this video posted by u/schneller_Fuchs proves. Unfortunately, it seems the driver of this truck didn’t get the memo and assumes that his big truck is actually part-boat, attempting to cross what appears to be a river as if it were a mere puddle. Thankfully everyone is able to scramble to safety after the river begins to flood the truck completely, but this was an incredibly stupid way to risk his family and lose his truck at the same time. 2. That’s one way of beating the heat… Showcasing American ingenuity at it’s best, this video posted by u/kevinowdziej will give truck owners all sorts of ideas. Seemingly trying to keep cool, the owners of this truck have converted the bed into a mobile pool. By lining the bed with what appears to be a tarpaulin and filling it with water, they’ve created a rudimentary pool on wheels. Read more: 5 most ridiculous supercar wraps ever seen – In theory a good idea, and one that would likely work well so long as the truck remains parked. Unfortunately, they did the next best thing to parking it – they took it for a McDonald’s drive-through. While it seems to have survived the trip to the restaurant intact, a sudden stop after pulling away from the window results in a tidal wave of water and predictable hilarity. Clearly these pool-dwellers will stick to conventional paddling pools next time. 1. Abandon Car! Sometimes, words cannot quite describe the level of absolute stupidity seen on the internet. This clip, posted by u/mr_rosh is a perfect example of that level of stupidity. The driver of this car appears to swerve, brake check the car behind, and then casually abandon the car while it is still rolling. The driver then simply walks down the central reservation on her phone in complete serenity, as if ditching her moving car is somehow an everyday occurrence. Unfortunately, her stupidity didn’t only affect her. The car was clearly ditched while still in ‘drive’ and proceeds to veer across both sides of the carriageway, striking an oncoming vehicle before the clip cuts out. Safe to say, this driver wins the title of ‘biggest idiot’ on this subreddit.

  • Audi RS6 Performance hits 305kmph speed on AutoBahn in YouTube test – Dexerto

Audi RS6 Performance hits 305kmph speed on AutoBahn in YouTube test Germany’s AutoBahn highway system takes the speed limits away from the cars in some areas and if there’s one estate vehicle you need to see eat up those roads, it’s the 2018 Audi RS6 Performance. Being ahead through technology is the name of the game for Audi and there’s no doubt that their RS6 Performance model is among their most impressive releases to date, for the executive portion of the market at least. In what would probably be a dream scenario for car enthusiasts, one of AutoTopNL’s lucky drivers were handed the opportunity to take this powerful set of wheels for spin and the results were both scary as well as magnificent. For those who aren’t aware, AutoTopNL is a car filming and testing company that often posts their videos to YouTube for their fans to enjoy. At the time of writing, their official channel has over 1.74 million subscribers and the video of the R26 Performance has eclipsed 100,000 views. The top speed for the vehicle is actually 189.5 mph and during the course of the video you can hang off the edge of your seat to see how close it gets to that figure. There’s a speedometer on the right side of the screen for reference. This car included in their review has a 4.0 litre V8 BiTurbo AWD engine, which is capable of 720hp, and has SKN tuning. Without further ado, though, let’s see how it looked on the road. Timestamp in the video below at 1:03. Seeing a motorcar like this roar through the German countryside is one thing, but hitting “crazy fast” speeds will be enough to keep any of their viewers entertained. Some of which, interestingly, noted in the comment section that the car was physically shaking as it climbed towards its top speed. “That transmission hasn’t got much life left,” one posted, while another joked: “In the time my car takes to reach 40mph this car is already four cities ahead.” Those interested in buying the Audi RS6 Performance featured in this speed test, you can pick one up on the market for between £90,560 – £107,060.

  • Aston Martin unveil $3.6m perfect replica of James Bond’s DB5 – Dexerto

Aston Martin unveil $3.6m perfect replica of James Bond’s DB5 YouTube: MrJWWThe ultra-exclusive Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger Continuation Program is set to make its new owner’s James Bond dreams come true. Featuring fully-functional gadgets, this road-legal ‘spy’ car is the stuff of childhood dreams for a lucky few. Built from the ground-up, these extremely limited DB5 continuations pay homage to the legendary Aston Martin DB5 driven by James Bond in the Goldfinger movie. Often cited as one of the most iconic movie cars of all time, the continuation is limited to just 25 units, costing $3.59 million each. This is no ordinary movie car ‘replica’ however. Featuring functional spy gadgets, replica equipment from the movie, and enough toys to satisfy even the biggest man-child; This Goldfinger Continuation DB5 is a piece of living, breathing movie memorabilia. The ‘007’ gadgetry has been updated and brought into the 21st century, ensuring that you get plenty of value from the $3.59m (£2.75m) price tag. “Even 007 didn’t have a remote control for his car” joked Paul from Aston Martin during the ‘first-look’ video with YouTuber MrJWW. A car “worthy of 007” himself Ensuring that the car is as true to the movies as possible, AM has worked with Chris Corbould who provided SFX for the last 15 bond films to ensure the car would be “worthy of 007” when completed. Aston Martin is justifiably proud of this project, and have engineered it to last. Each gadget is put through a 5000-cycle testing phase to ensure they are “robust enough” to cater to demanding clients. Not only are the gadgets true to the appearance in the movie, but they all work correctly. The front ‘machine guns’ are a light-and-sound display that is true to the original, and are seamlessly hidden behind the front indicators when not in use. The rear ‘oil slick’ dispenser has been replaced with a more environmentally-friendly water dispenser, but it too is fully functional and hidden behind the indicators when not in use. The famous revolving numberplates are fully functional, as is the incredibly effective rear ‘smokescreen’. The “ultimate toy” for Bond fans While the ejector seat couldn’t be made fully functional “for obvious reasons” AM did still cut the hole out in the roof of the DB5. The in-build GPS is styled as a retro nav system, stored away behind a retractable panel operated by a hidden switch. Perhaps the coolest gadget is the rear retractable bulletproof shield. Not content with simply incorporating a tribute piece, Aston chose to use real bulletproof carbon-kevlar material which has been tested to prove its resistance to small-arms fire. All these gadgets are activated by “the world’s most famous red button” hidden under a hinged lid atop the shifter. This really is the “ultimate toy” for Bond fans according to JWW, and it’s not hard to see why.

  • Archie Hamilton tests insane £60,000 custom Tesla Model 3 Performance – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton tests insane £60,000 custom Tesla Model 3 Performance YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingPopular car YouTuber Archie Hamilton Racing got behind the wheel of his friend’s pretty nicely customized Tesla Model 3 performance that has one thing that sets apart from the rest. As a YouTuber who focuses on cars content and also being a Porsche racing driver, Archie Hamilton has been able to take some pretty swish cars for a spin – be it on the road or a track. The Brit regularly shows off his car collection – which includes a Porsche GT3 RS that he can’t quite part ways with, and a Mercedes A45. However, in his most recent video, it was his friend’s Tesla Model 3 performance that he got to share with his viewers – taking it for a test drive and showing off some pretty unique features. In his March 7 upload, the YouTuber and racing driver met up with fellow racer Tom Onslow Cole and got to grips with his £60,000 custom Tesla from Milltek Sport. As its a Tesla, and subsequently an electric vehicle, the car isn’t supposed to make any noise as a normal gas-powered vehicle would. However, this one was fitted with a system that made it roar and sound like something to be feared. After hearing the noise for the first time, the YouTuber was slightly taken back by what he heard – especially as his friend noted that it could be changed to a different sound and much higher volume. Tom even joked that, with it being an electric car, there may also be a way to add some pretty unique noises in the future – like sounds from Star Wars. Though, that wasn’t the only custom upgrade. The YouTuber also discovered that in addition to 21’ rims, the Tesla had been lowered and placed on a track suspension – which had been used for a rapid run around Silverstone. As he drove the car, Archie seemed pretty impressed and noted, after handing the keys back over to his pal, that he wouldn’t mind adding one to his collection. Of course, if he will do that remains to be seen, especially as he’s already canceled an order for a brand-new Audi RS6 2020.

  • Archie Hamilton reveals why he’s selling all of his cars – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton reveals why he’s selling all of his cars YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingAs one of the biggest automotive YouTubers from the UK, Archie Hamilton has had his fair share of incredible cars. Recently though, he’s been selling them off one-by-one, prompting a number of followers to ask why he appears to be selling all of his cars. Having recently sold his AMG A45 and Porsche GT3 RS, many of Archie Hamilton’s followers have been wondering whether he’s run out of money, or if there is some other motive behind the sudden downsizing of his car collection. With the engine in his racing 911 also having blown up, it wouldn’t be too hard to imagine that the YouTube star is indeed selling his cars to free up some cash flow. According to Archie however, that is not the case. Racing is causing a “financial strain” Updating his “loyal subscribers” on his YouTube channel the first item on the agenda is his BMW M8 Competition. According to Archie, this car is “going nowhere.” That having been said, he has previously stated the same about the A45 and the GT3 RS, so this is subject to change. Addressing his racing disaster, Archie does admit that the engine “going bang is somewhat of a financial strain” but refuses to confirm or deny whether this is one of the factors behind his garage changes. The Porsche GT3 RS was sold as “there was a good offer on the table, and I decided to take it… so why not.” Regarding the A45, he accepted a spur-of-the-moment offer from his good friend Tony, which allows him to “get something else to mix content up.” New cars coming to the Archie Hamilton Racing channel There will be new cars to take their place, however, as Archie admits he’s “on the hunt” for a new supercar to create content with. There doesn’t appear to be any rush for the hunt however, as he says there are too many other things going on that take priority. Despite his dramatic issues in his racing career, it turns out that Archie is not selling his cars to make up for lack of cash flow, rather he’s making space for a new car. Earlier in 2020, he canceled his order for a new Audi RS6, something which he has admitted regretting greatly. Pitching the question to his viewers, he asks whether he should get an RS6 Avant, AMG GTS, AMG GT, or “other things.” Given that he already has a Porsche Taycan on order, it looks like the AHR garage may get a major shake-up before the year is over.

  • Archie Hamilton reveals the most popular cars for Premier League players – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton reveals the most popular cars for Premier League players YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingWith many football players having cash to spare, it’s only natural that they want a set of wheels that showcases their elevated wealth and fame. But which supercars do footballers love the most? Archie Hamilton finds out in his September 11 video. Of course, footballers can’t be seen in ‘stock’ supercars no matter how brash and outlandish they are, so custom finishes, body kits, and wheels are the norm in the outrageous world of high-level football. As you may expect, kitted-out Range Rovers, Mercedes G-Wagens, and high-performance SUVs are popular for famous stars. Favored for their excellent visibility but relative stealth, black SUVs are a dime-a-dozen on English streets, so make a great ‘incognito’ car for stars’ daily drivers. Promotions mean paychecks There are of course less inconspicuous SUVs, such as the Lamborghini Urus which has been very popular with high-level players and is “a great car” according to Rich, the owner of Premier Sports Solutions who features in Archie’s video. It seems that when teams get promoted, more and more players want to upgrade their wheels too, as Rich explains: “When Leeds got promoted, we did within a couple of weeks… 7 or so [cars].” Promotions mean paychecks, and players are all too keen to cash in their new riches. Supercars are still a part of most footballers’ garages, but they are becoming less common with SUVs and luxury marques such as Bentley and Rolls Royce taking precedence. While brash supercars were once a great sign of wealth, it seems they are being replaced by out-and-out opulence instead. Satin Black everything There is one particular theme that runs throughout the video. Whether these players are buying Audi R8s, Lamborghini Aventadors, or custom ‘Urban’ Range Rover SVRs, they all have one thing in common: Satin Black wraps. Apparently footballers and celebrities can’t get enough of satin black cars. Whether it’s a status symbol or they simply love the look, many household names are buying up cars of various colors and paying for them to be wrapped in satin black before taking delivery of their new ride. So in answer to the question of which cars footballers love the most, they love big, powerful SUVs, luxury family cars, and still have a soft spot for the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador S. They just all have to be satin black.

  • Archie Hamilton reveals big plans for his new Audi RS6 worth $130k – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton reveals big plans for his new Audi RS6 worth $130k YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingYouTubers such as Archie Hamilton are renowned for not being able to leave their cars ‘stock.’ In his September 30 video, Archie reveals his plans for the latest addition to his fleet, the Audi RS6 Avant. Powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4-liter V8 with over 600hp, the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant is the “ultimate family car.” In typical Archie Hamilton style, however, he has no plans to leave it unchanged. He’s picked a fantastic base car for his build though. Opting for the ‘Carbon Black’ package, Archie’s RS6 is dripping in intricate carbon-fiber details inside and out. Not only that, but he has specified the adaptive sports exhaust, making it sound “so much better.” Archie Hamilton Audi RS6 Spec Revealing the first of his plans, he says: “It sounds good… but I’m going to make it sound better!” Archies car also has the upgraded 22″ alloy wheels. While these do look amazing, when he mentions them Hamilton says “Are these wheels staying on the car? Hmm, I’m not going to lie” suggesting that a wheel swap is in the pipeline. The best part of the car for AH is the interior, as “this is where it gets even better!” Inside the carbon-fiber details continue, along with an Alcantara steering wheel. His favorite things inside the car are the panoramic roof and uprated B&O audio system which are both “game-changers.” Audi incorporates the navigation system into both the central touchscreen and the instrument cluster. Archie admits he always messes around with the system on RS models as the graphics are so good. Archie Hamilton RS6 modifications Moving on to speak about his plans for the car, Archie reveals that he has a number of ideas to change up the RS6’s appearance. He says he “wants to go back to his roots” referencing his Mercedes A45 AMG. While he doesn’t want to wrap this one camouflage like his A45 he “go to town” on the RS6. According to Archie, the wheels are going to change, along with the addition of “splitters, things like that… some seriously cool mods.” It is also going to be wrapped, but as of yet Archie has not confirmed the color, just “not satin black.” Allegedly, he says he has “no plans to sell this car” but AH fans know he’s notorious for doing so. Still, giving him the benefit of the doubt, he does appear to be genuinely smitten with the RS6.

  • Archie Hamilton explains why he’s finally selling his Porsche GT3 RS – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton explains why he’s finally selling his Porsche GT3 RS YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingPopular Car YouTuber Archie Hamilton has explained why he’s selling his Porsche GT3 RS after only owning it for around a year. Like many other car YouTubers, Archie Hamilton has been able to give his viewers a pretty nice look at, and behind the wheel of, some of the world’s most expensive and unique cars. That has included a £60,000 Tesla Model 3 that actually has engine noises, but in recent videos, he’s been focusing on his own collection of cars. Though, while fans might enjoy seeing his personal collection, he is finally parting ways with a key piece in the form of his Porsche GT3 RS – even though he said he wasn’t going to. The Porsche racing driver explained why, after around a year owning the car and much deliberation, he’s decided to move on and sell the car in his newest video. “I’ve made it no secret that, this year, I’m making my racing return in the GT4 series, so keeping the GT3 RS, it just… yeah, it was time for it to go,” Archie said, noting that when he first got the car it was “the best thing ever,” but he’s since done everything he wanted to with it. “I actually did everything I wanted to do with it,” the popular British YouTuber added, “and I just came to the decision that now is the right time [to let it go.]” Timestamp for mobile viewers of 1:00 While selling a car can come with a pretty heavy financial loss, Archie noted that his GT3 RS might be a little more valuable than normal considering it has an ultraviolet paint job that has since been discontinued. “It’s between 150 and 160,000 pounds but that’s a lot of car for the money because this, what I paid for it, it’s not too dissimilar – so they are holding money really, really well,” he continued. Though the racer said himself that he might have been making the wrong decision by selling it, he added that it was pretty much the last time he’d ever see it and sit in the driver’s seat. What he’ll opt to buy in terms of a replacement, however, will come further down the line, so fans will have to keep their eyes peeled to his uploads.

  • Archie Hamilton explains why he’s canceling his Audi RS6 2020 order – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton explains why he’s canceling his Audi RS6 2020 order YouTube: Archie Hamilton RacingPopular car YouTuber Archie Hamilton has explained why he’s decided to cancel his order of a 2020 Audi RS6, despite having already decided on a specs package and paid the deposit. Like many car-focused YouTubers, Archie Hamilton has developed a collection of cars that will leave people looking on in both awe and envy. While he’s sold cars like the Range Rover SVR sport, he’s still got a few interesting daily drivers. He was set to add a brand-new Audi RS6 to the growing collection. However, he’s had second thoughts about grabbing one right away, even after putting down a deposit to secure one. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, he gave an explanation on the situation. The Porsche racing driver sat with his friend Tony and ran through the pros and cons of getting one right away. In the end, after taking Tony’s advice on board, Archie noted that it didn’t really make sense to get one off the bat – especially as his collection of cars has changed significantly in recent weeks. “My car situation has got a little bit mad. I’m still getting an RS6, still going to come to my garage, I’m just going to let the second-hand market play out, see how it goes, and then I will go in and I will get one,” the YouTuber explained. “Just that my new car, with the (BMW) M8 coming, just bought the (Mercedes) A45, depreciation could be seriously scary.” Timestamp for mobile viewers of 15:11 He continued on, though, noting that his plans have changed ever since putting the order in for the new Audi and that has also thrown a spanner into the works. “This year really is a big year for me, the biggest year on my channel with the racing and stuff, and I feel that would just stress me out. It would just be another huge pressure in when we ordered that car, I wasn’t racing – it wasn’t even on my mind, it wasn’t even a thing – and now there’s so many other things happening.” As for when fans can expect to possibly see the YouTuber cruising around in an RS6, Archie explained that he’ll judge the second-hand market in around four or five months time and try to find a spec similar to what he had configured. Even though the channel will be lacking an RS6 for the foreseeable future, viewers should finally get to see a BMW M8 in the coming weeks.

  • Archie Hamilton explains why he can’t sell his Porsche GT3 RS – Dexerto

Archie Hamilton explains why he can’t sell his Porsche GT3 RS Archie Hamilton RacingPopular car YouTube Archie Hamilton has explained why he still hasn’t sold his Porsche GT3 RS despite it having disappeared from his channel in recent months. Like many car-based YouTubers, Archie Hamilton has a pretty impressive collection of cars that leaves viewers looking on enviously. Though, he recently sold his Range Rover SVR sport and revealed that he won’t be grabbing an Audi RS6 2020 despite paying a deposit on his order. However, it is the GT3 RS that many fans of the Porsche racing driver didn’t expect to see return to the fold. The car had stopped appearing in Archie’s videos – even in the background to his others – in favor of the Mercedes A45 and SVR Sport – before it was sold. Yet, it is now back with him. The YouTuber addressed it’s disappearance in his most recent video, noting that it had been put in storage and he did have it up for sale – and that was the last time that his fans heard about it. Since then, it was set to leave his collection completely but things didn’t work out. “I’ve had offers on it. I’ve had two proper serious people come to see it,” Archie explained. “They test drove it and then were just trying to lowball me with it and I was like, look, I don’t need to sell it. If it’s the right price, I would sell it but I love it that much that I’m like what else is going to beat it.” (Segment begins at 8:10 for mobile readers) His GT3 RS hasn’t even got all that many miles on the clock either, but Archie still had it due in for a service that would set him back around £2,500. Though, the YouTuber accepted that he ultimately would sell the car “if the money was right.” However, getting rid of it for the sake of funding his racing wouldn’t make sense, he said, as it would only fund about a weekend’s worth of racing. What he’ll do with the Porsche still remains to be seen but, for now, it is sticking with him.

  • Alex Choi gets payback on cops by ‘pulling them over’ in his Lamborghini – Dexerto

Alex Choi gets payback on cops by ‘pulling them over’ in his Lamborghini Instagram: Alex.choiAfter being pulled over and surrounded by police during a recent stunt with his mates; Alex Choi got his own back on the local police department, utilizing his crazy Lamborghini build to its full extent. Alex’s Lambo build certainly attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes, but it seems that he’s finally found a good use for the flashing lights fixed to the roof of the car. On August 21, Alex posted a number of videos to his Instagram story showing himself and his friends out for a drive. Alongside these videos is one showing Nate Rossi doing donuts in his McLaren 570s, whipping the car round and round in circles in a cloud of tire smoke. While pulling donuts in a supercar is an impressive stunt, it does often attract the wrong kind of attention for the driver and anyone else around them. Unfortunately, that was exactly the sort of attention that they drew. Clip starts at 1:45 Alex gets his own back… In videos shared on his Instagram which were later shared by YouTuber Life of Palos, Alex shows himself and two other cars surrounded by cop cars, likely due to the donuts and other stunts that were seen on his social media earlier on in the evening. It seems that the cops did specifically target Nate though, rather than Alex. He was in his Tesla (not seen earlier in the evening) and in one particular video the camera pans over to the McLaren with Alex asking “oh Nate… what did you do?” Sadly there is no further information on how the evening’s events panned out; But in a set of photos posted to his Instagram, it seems Alex got his own form of ‘revenge’ on the cops. In the post, it appears that Alex has ‘pulled over’ a police car in his own twin-turbocharged, highly-customized Lamborghini Huracan. The whole thing was in jest, of course; But between the caption of the image series and the comment section, plenty of people – Alex included – wished it was a real case of turning the tables on the cops themselves.

  • Adam LZ’s rebuilt 900hp GT350 is utterly “terrifying” to drive – Dexerto

Adam LZ’s rebuilt 900hp GT350 is utterly “terrifying” to drive YouTube: AdamLZFollowing a catastrophic engine fire that resulted in the entire front end being destroyed, Adam LZ and his team have rebuilt his GT350 Mustang to be better than ever. It finally hit the road in his August 28 video and his reaction is insane. Having burnt down with Adam’s girlfriend Collette behind the wheel on a track day in May 2020; Adam decided to salvage what he could of the Shelby GT350 Mustang and rebuild it better than ever before. Since the motor was totally destroyed by the fire, the decision was made to swap the stock Shelby V8 motor for a turbocharged Ford Barra engine traditionally seen in high-powered Ford Australia cars. With the rebuild having taken several months to complete, Adam was finally able to get the almost-finished Barra-swapped GT350 Mustang out on the open road in his August 28 video for a series of test ‘pulls’ to calibrate the gearbox. “Terrifyingly fast” This may not be the first time that Adam was able to get the car driving, but it is the first time he’s been able to explore the limits of its performance. Clearly shocked by the sheer force of the turbocharger kicking in, he described the car as “terrifyingly fast” and “feeling like a spaceship” when the boost kicks in. It seems that the car is perhaps too powerful for its tires, as even when rolling it spins the wheels up under heavy power. Adam does say he’s concerned about the transmission shifting mid-pull, as that is what causes Mustangs to veer sideways and earn their reputation for crashing. The Mustang narrowly avoids disaster Despite the successful first drive, the test run is brought to an abrupt halt thanks to a broken wire. This could’ve been a disaster if Adam had not caught it as quick as he did, as it caused the Mustang to shut down in the middle of the carriageway. Thankfully, he was able to coast it to a safe area where it could be towed from. With the Mustang making nearly 900whp and 700 lb/ft of torque, Adam still doesn’t seem satisfied, exclaiming “900whp in this car doesn’t feel enough, thank god we can turn it up more… I’m getting bored already … It definitely could be faster!” All that is left to do now is some final small transmission tweaks, a new hood and, hopefully, the Mustang will be ready for its daily driver duties with Adam. Given that the car has gone from a burnt wreck to fully-tuned muscle car in less than a year, Adam should be pretty happy with it.

YouTuber Adam LZ sets his Nissan 350Z on fire while drifting YouTube: Adam LZFlorida is well-known for many reasons: Sunshine, alligators, and being the home of famed car YouTuber Adam LZ. In his latest video, Adam took us along to a local skid pan for a day of ‘drift games’, though things didn’t quite go according to plan. Sometimes the simple things are what matter most in life. In Adam LZ’s case, those simple things often involve throwing any number of his cars around sideways and hoping that they come out unscathed at the other end. Taking his 350Z down to a local skid pan to have a day of “good old Florida redneck fun” is therefore a perfect day for Adam. It also gives him a chance to test out the upgraded Brembo brakes after ruining his stock Nissan brake setup. For the uninitiated, drifting is the art of throwing your vehicle sideways, breaking traction with the rear wheels and skidding the car in a controlled manner. Points are often awarded at events for style, proximity to markers or other drivers, and overall speed. Clip starts at 16:00 Having had such a successful day at the track, Adam decided to celebrate with a few solo runs and burnouts, but this is where things took a turn for the worst. After messing up a drift run, Adam ends up driving into a wall and initiating a huge burnout, filling the arena with tire smoke and the smell of burning rubber. It is important to note that the car is under immense mechanical pressure at this point, especially the transmission and engine block since they are held at such high RPMs for so long. Eventually the inevitable happens, and the 350z becomes engulfed in huge flames and smoke. It seems that Adam notices this and begins to move away from his burnout zone, with the marshals flagging him down and gesturing to him to move. Thankfully it seems that the fire was in fact the rubber on the tires reaching such a high temperature they actually ignited under the pressure and friction caused by the burnout. The temperatures got so high that the discarded rubber from the tires is seen still burning on the track after Adam moved the 350Z out of harm’s way. In typical Adam style, he was remarkably calm about the whole thing, saying that his cars catching on fire is “like a trend nowadays” – while he’s certainly not wrong, most other YouTubers wouldn’t be so calm at the sight of their cars going up in flames.

  • $7.2m Bugatti Divo blows away Top Gear hosts in insane test drive – Dexerto

$7.2m Bugatti Divo blows away Top Gear hosts in insane test drive YouTube: Top GearThe incredible Bugatti Divo is the new ‘halo’ car for french manufacturers Bugatti, costing $7.2m. Few people will ever get the chance to drive one, but fortunately, the team at Top Gear have shared the experience with us all via their YouTube channel. Getting behind the wheel of multi-million dollar hypercars is a tough job, but someone has to do it. In this case, the team behind BBC’s Top Gear get their hands on the ultra-exclusive Bugatti Divo hypercar. Not only does the sky-high price tag of $7.2m make it exclusive, but to qualify for ownership you have to already own a Bugatti Chiron which costs a cool $3m by itself. That’s a total of $10.2m worth of hypercars! The Bugatti Divo Based on the Chiron, the Bugatti Divo shares the same 8l, quad-turbocharged W16 engine putting out a mind-bending 1479bhp. Despite sharing the same engine, the Divo is a completely different beast indeed. Getting behind the wheel of the Divo for the first time, Jack is quick to point out the “instant” throttle response and “tenacious” grip of the Divo. Designed to maximize downforce, the Divo creates an incredible 456kg of downforce at its peak, thanks to it’s unique and aggressive design. As expected, this 1479bhp hypercar is no slouch. Dispatching 0-60 in just 2.4s, Jack describes the driving sensation in a unique way. When the first pair of turbos spool up, it’s “normal supercar quick” but once the second pair begins to wind up, the sensation of speed is described as a “blurry, new trousers please hit” due to the sudden and aggressive increase in acceleration. The noise from the Divo’s quad-exit exhaust pipes backs up these aggressive figures, producing a snarling ‘howl’ under heavy acceleration. This is accompanied by the induction noise of all four turbochargers sucking in as much air as possible, resulting in a unique and intimidating sound. Despite the size of the car, it handles far better than expected and will “shatter assumptions” of anyone that gets behind the wheel according to Jack. Cornering the Divo is apparently akin to steering an everyday family car, thanks to it’s “light and bright” feel and clever suspension setup. Above all, this is an insane performance car that is apparently easy to drive. Jack sums it up perfectly by saying “You wouldn’t, but you could drive it every single day.”

  • 4 craziest reactions to insanely loud cars: Lamborghinis, Mustangs, More – Dexerto

4 craziest reactions to insanely loud cars: Lamborghinis, Mustangs, More YouTube: BoostLustWhile sometimes a loud car can be annoying, most people will happily carry on about their daily lives without letting it get to them. Unfortunately, some people seem to take it on themselves to ‘school’ the offending drivers about their exhaust. It’s not as if these drivers aren’t aware that their cars are loud. The majority (if not all) of the cars featured in this article are fitted with aftermarket exhausts, with the sole purpose of making the car louder. Whether it’s jealousy that the cars are more expensive than the ones they own or maybe they’re simply bored. Regardless of the reason, people seem to love getting mad at car owners. Thankfully most of these drivers are courteous and rise above the occasional over-reaction, and with cameras present to capture the action, the rest of us are able to enjoy the drama through YouTube. Local lady loses her temper at Subaru Video starts at 2:17 In what has to be one of the most over-the-top reactions to a modified car on YouTube, this local lady seems to totally flip out at the mere sight of this modified Subaru. Compared to many modified cars it’s really not even that loud, with only a mild burble when cruising around, as seen at the start of the clip. Apparently unfazed by its laid-back exhaust, the lady proceeds to go berserk at the Subaru’s driver, who makes a run for it. Realizing the culprit has gone, her attention turns to the unsuspecting cameraman. As she walks away (still yelling at the cameraman) she threatens to “call the cops on that car” but sadly we never learn the outcome. Hopefully, the local PD realized it was a waste of their valuable time. Stranger gets mad at Lamborghini in traffic Clip starts at 4:03 In this instance, the Lamborghini driver in question isn’t even moving! Simply sitting in traffic with the engine of the Lamborghini burbling away at idle, the owner of this gorgeous Italian supercar suddenly gets attacked by an increasingly aggressive stranger who goes on to threaten to “break” his car. Even the presence of the camera didn’t seem to deter him, nor did it seem to affect the woman who waded in and began yelling at the driver herself. Whether she was related to the first guy is unclear, but they certainly weren’t happy at this Lamborghini driver. Throwing rocks at a supercar won’t make it quieter Clip starts at 0:54 It’s one thing to yell at a driver, but throwing items at their car with the intention of damaging it is simply ridiculous. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to this Lamborghini driver outside what appears to be a cars and coffee meet (judging by the people filming on the sidewalk). While we don’t have any context as to why the guy targeted this particular driver, it seems that he thought the Lamborghini was going to drag race down the street. With the Lamborghini moving off in a controlled, socially-acceptable manner, it seems that the guy wasn’t happy with that either, and throws something at the crazily-expensive supercar. Hopefully it was just a soft coffee cup, but it seems to make a fairly loud noise on impact, so perhaps it was something more sinister. Understandably, the Lamborghini driver doesn’t hang around and shoots off down the road making far more noise than they did initially, no doubt to the great annoyance of the guy standing in the middle of the road. Angry residents block muscle car birthday procession Clip starts at 0:54 The final video in this article is a long one, but it’s worth watching the whole thing. With everything going on at the moment, this muscle car club decided to throw a drive-through birthday party for one lucky boy, but it seems the angry local residents had other ideas. Appalled by the noise of these tuned cars driving at low speed through their neighborhood, several residents decide to block them from leaving and call the police. Considering they’re complaining about the noise, the best way to get rid of the noise would’ve been to let them leave – something that the drivers point out numerous times. With several families out on the street, things get a little heated, and eventually, the cops are called. Hilariously, it’s not the drivers that get arrested, it’s the residents as they were obstructing traffic, much to the amusement of the drivers. Given that this was someone’s birthday party, it’s a shame that it had to be spoiled by a few selfish neighbors when clearly the majority of residents were enjoying the drive-through procession.

For fans of: Drifting, Japanese cars, and tuning culture. Tavarish Perhaps a little different from what you might expect to find on a list like this; Tavarish buys broken, written-off, and famous supercars (including the Lamborghini from The Fast and Furious,) then documents the rebuilding process for you to enjoy. What’s fascinating about Tavarish’s videos is that they show a side to supercar ownership not many other YouTubers will talk about. Seeing how these broken beasts are dismantled and brought back to life is a strangely satisfying process, and no doubt you’ll learn a thing or two in the process. For fans of: Movie cars, documentary series, and supercar builds.

  • 5 top-speed Autobahn runs that are so fast they’re terrifying – Dexerto

5 top-speed Autobahn runs that are so fast they’re terrifying Tourists and petrol heads flock to Germany to drive on the world-famous Autobahn. Famed for its sections of unrestricted roads, drivers are able to legally push their cars to the limits of their performance on public roads. Despite the majority of the Autobahn, Germany’s highway network, being restricted to between 68 and 75 mph, there are sections in rural areas that are legally de-restricted, meaning drivers can go as fast as they see safe and fit to do so. These de-restricted areas have become a haven for high-performance car owners, as it allows them to test out the top speed and full performance of their cars without breaking any speed limits or risking losing their driving license. Naturally, many drivers upload their Autobahn runs online for the world to enjoy. Here are five of the best from YouTube. Bentley Flying Spur hits 211mph Showing that you don’t need a lightweight purpose-built supercar to hit high speeds; AutoTopNL takes the all-new Bentley Flying Spur up to an incredible 340km (211mph) top speed. Given that Bentley is known for producing no-holds-barred luxury cars, the fact that this 2.437 kg barge can reach such high speeds is incredible. It also appears to do so with ease, remaining composed and seemingly comfortable even at the limit of its performance. Tesla Model S P100D top speed run While the Bentley Flying Spur video above is shocking as the car is able to achieve such speeds despite so heavy and luxurious, this video of a Tesla Model S is shocking as it is so quiet. Despite being pushed to the upper limits of its performance and reaching an impressive 142mph, the Tesla Model S does so with spaceship-like silence and smoothness, with only the road noise giving any sort of audible indication of the speeds that are being reached. Lamborghini Huracan brings the thunder In complete contrast to the Tesla Model S run, this Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 makes an incredible amount of noise as AutoTopNL pushes it up to an incredible speed of 212mph. The custom-fitted Akraprovic exhaust sounds absolutely biblical as the car is launched off the starting line, with plenty of pops and bangs on overrun as the driver lets off the throttle. As the Huracan reaches the upper echelons of its performance, the V10 engine of the Huracan reaches a glorious crescendo and deafens the unsuspecting drivers that it flies past at well over 120mph. BMW M5 passes the Police as if they were standing still The Autobahn must be one of the only places worldwide where you’d be able to get away with flying past the police at over 180mph, but that’s exactly what Cars on Autobahn did while behind the wheel of this BMW F90 M5. Seeing that the police were also apparently responding to a blue-light call, it is shocking how easily this high-performance sedan passed them, almost as if the police car was standing still. The M5 also seems perfectly happy sitting at over 190mph for prolonged periods, which is even more surprising when you learn that it is a 5-seat executive sedan that is perfectly capable of being a comfortable, usable everyday family car. 1239hp Tuned Toyota Supra pushed to the limit With a massive turbo, rear-wheel drive, and very limited driver aids; This heavily modified Toyota Supra proves to be a handful for AutoTopNL to drive. The massive turbo suffers from severe lag, meaning that the full amount of power is only available at around 7k rpm. This means that the car has to be pushed to the top of the rev range in each gear to get the most out of it. Being RWD with so much power also means the Supra struggles to stick to the road when the turbo kicks in, proving to be a real challenge for the driver. Mix that in with the incredible noise from the engine and turbo, and this is one of the most visceral, most challenging cars ever featured on AutoTopNL’s channel. Remember that these videos are filmed on de-restricted roads, and the drivers are highly-skilled professionals. Do not attempt this style of driving on any other roads, or without proper tuition.

  • 5 must-see deleted scenes from The Grand Tour Mozambique special – Dexerto

5 must-see deleted scenes from The Grand Tour Mozambique special Amazon StudiosFans of The Grand Tour got a sneak peek of five hilarious moments behind the making of the Mozambique special that took the collective of James May, Richard Hammond, and Jeremy Clarkson on the quest to ‘end world hunger.’ As ambitious as the endeavor was, the gang, as is typical, took their own approach of how to attack the mission that didn’t necessarily pan out for them. While each had a somewhat sensible approach for bringing fresh fish to the city of Bingo, some-200 miles away from the coast, they were all met with disaster along the way. It’s here where The Grand Tour’s production picks and chooses which moments are worth immortalizing in the episode or get cut, but the DRIVETRIBE channel gave a great look at the “things you weren’t allowed to see” in the special. As expected, May’s tank of fish in the haul of his 1984 Mercedes Wagon didn’t go well for the motorist. While the plan had some structure, the sea water from the tank would constantly overflow, leaving him drenched and the fish wanting for a sustainable environment to live. In one of the outtakes, he can be seen giving one of the smaller fish a memorial of sorts. Unfortunately, with the amounts of sea creatures that didn’t make it to the final destination, this could have been one of many outtakes of a similar nature that didn’t make the cut. Later on, he is seen fashioning a makeshift distributor for his car with a plastic water bottle. As funny as that stint of ingenuity was, May had a scary moment when a radiator cap shot out while he and a producer were taking a look at his beat-up vehicle. The next outtake showed the trio crossing the ‘Indian Ocean,’ as the low tide created a wetland that stretched for miles. Finally, of course, the extra footage included another moment in a long series of wet failures for him, as he attempted to drive in reverse with his fish tank full. The moment is brilliantly capped off by Clarkson having the time of his life at the expense of his long-time friend. While The Grand Tour and its audiences can’t wait to continue the celebrated series, it’s these sort of moments that will keep the fans entertained until the postponed season can finally be realized.

  • 5 most ridiculous supercar wraps ever seen – Dexerto

5 most ridiculous supercar wraps ever seen YouTube: Supercars On The StreetsFor drivers that want to switch up the color of their car without permanently painting their vehicle, vinyl wraps offer a convenient and cost-effective way of personalizing your car. Unfortunately, sometimes they actually look worse when done than they did before. Thanks to the low price of a wrap (around $2,000 for a good one) compared to the high cost of painting a car (running easily up to $10-20k) wrapping is often used for experimental liveries and attention-grabbing designs. While taste is subjective, sometimes the finished cars are so bad you can’t help but wonder what went on in the owner’s mind when ordering the material. Here are five of the worst-looking wraps from around the world. Audi R8 ‘Psychedelic’ The Audi R8 is one of the greatest supercars ever to come out of Germany. With prices for early cars dropping to sub-$30k, more and more YouTubers and ‘young rich’ are buying them up, meaning it was only a matter of time before one was seen in a terrible wrap. This terrible color – known as ‘flip psychedelic’ – changes color depending on the angle you look at it and the lighting conditions, often mimicking the appearance of fuel. The color may be terrible, but it does seem like the wrap has been well executed by a professional team; A terrible idea that was well-executed. Gold Lamborghini Aventador Video starts at 1:31 If you ever needed proof that money doesn’t buy taste, this should do perfectly. Part of a fleet of gold-wrapped supercars and hypercars owned by the ultra-wealthy in London; This Lamborghini Aventador certainly stands out, but for all the wrong reasons. Beyond the appalling taste of the owner having chosen to wrap their supercars in a tacky gold color, there must be some laws against wrapping a car in a reflective color; Just imagine the glare off of it on a sunny day or at night. A true fashion crime on wheels. Chrome green Chevrolet Corvette Video starts at 4:18 If the Hulk was an American YouTuber, this is what he’d drive. Big, brash, and loud. This chrome green wrap suits the characteristics of the Corvette well, but in the same vein as the Lamborghini above, it does look somewhat tacky. Once again the actual wrap itself has been carried out very well indeed, but the color choice is individual at best. Having allegedly cost $10,000; The owner of this American muscle icon must really, really love chrome to drive this around. One commenter on the video summed it up perfectly, saying it looked like a car out of GTA V. ‘Streetgasm’ liveried Ferrari 488 Video starts at 9:40 Ferrari is well-known for being a little sensitive when people modify or change the appearance of their products, so imagine what must’ve been running through their minds when they learned about the existence of this crazy-looking Ferrari 488 Spyder. Admittedly, this is a promotional livery for the ‘Streetgasm’ supercar tour, but it is absolutely shocking nonetheless. Taking a gorgeous Italian supercar such as this and covering it in cartoon graphics is a design crime on a massive scale, so let’s hope it was removed as soon as the tour was over. Teal Chrome Lamborghini Urus Wherever supercars go, tacky chrome wraps seem to follow. Created by one of the world’s most-renowned supercar customizers and wrappers Yiannimize; This Lamborghini Urus is wrapped in a gaudy teal chrome color to match his Aventador. Quite how these mirror/chrome wraps are legal is unknown, as they clearly pose a safety threat due to being reflective. Admittedly, the brightly colored wrap does match perfectly with his Aventador, and stands out very well amongst a sea of other Lambos and supercars around the city of London.

Occasionally they will film a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of their garage or speak about their collection. We’ve gathered videos and information on some of the best YouTubers garages to bring together this top-5 rundown of the best car collections on YouTube. Adam LZ’s massive garage tour Well-known for his drifting videos and insane car builds; Adam must have one of the biggest and most diverse collections of cars of any YouTuber. Ranging from his insane 1000hp Toyota Chaser drift car to his Porsche GT3 RS and a multitude of other classic Japanese metal, it’s fair to say Adam has a varied taste in cars. Widely praised for the variety in his collection compared to other YouTubers, it’s refreshing to see a major character such as Adam not simply collect the most expensive or fastest cars, instead, he either buys or builds cars with a story which keeps his collection diverse. DailyDrivenExotics crazy supercar collection If AdamLZ has one of the most varied collections, Damon of DailyDrivenExotics must have one of the most Lamborghini-focused garages. Featuring his infamous widebody ‘Tire Slayer’ Lamborghini Huracan, Damon’s collection also plays host to an incredibly rare manual Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Alongside the Lambos, Damon also has a McLaren 720 and, up until recently, a 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette. TheStradmans purple-themed fleet Admittedly this one may be cheating slightly, as since this video TheStradman has sold a majority of his cars to fund his new hypercar, as well as build his new house. That having been said, at its peak, TheStradman’s car collection was one of the most recognizable and varied of any mainstream YouTubers, ranging from Supercars to lifted trucks and hot hatches. Highlights include the ‘purple army’ composed of the Lamborghini Aventador, lifted Jeep and widebody Toyota Supra, alongside the 2nd generation Ford GT and of course, the Ferrari 430 Challenge car. Shmee150’s incredible supercar garage In his 10 years of making YouTube videos, Shmee150 has amassed one of the most impressive and most expensive car collections of any UK YouTuber, with over 12 supercars and high-performance cars in his fleet. Ranging from the absolutely insane Ford GT to his McLarens, AMGs, Ferraris, and customized G-Class, Shmee has a car for any style and any occasion. Perhaps the best thing about his collection is that it gets used, with numerous videos showing him thrashing his cars around the infamous Nurburgring and taking them on massive inter-continental road trips. Manny Khoshbin’s mind-blowing car collection Last but not least, is the absolutely mind-blowing collection of Manny Khoshbin. Making everyone else on this list look like a small-time car dealer, Manny’s garage tour will leave you speechless thanks to his collection of the world’s most expensive and best-known supercars and hypercars. Very few people can say they have a Bugatti Veyron in their collection, but Manny can say his sits alongside a McLaren P1, Pagani Huayra, and various other legendary supercars that you usually see in museums, not in one owner’s personal collection.

After passing the cop and brake checking them, justice was instantly served as the cops lit up the offending driver. 2. Showing off ends badly for this truck driver Clip starts at 3:51 Burnouts can be an impressive way to show your car off and draw a crowd, but they’re best saved for private land and away from public crowds. Sadly, the driver of this lifted, modified truck clearly didn’t get the memo. Burning rubber in front of a crowd, the driver accelerates forward, straight into the path of an oncoming cop car. You’d hope that when showing off the driver would’ve been aware of their surroundings, but it seems they were too caught up in the cheers and attention of the crowd rather than looking at what’s in front of them. 3. Clearly, this cop doesn’t like donuts Clip starts at 1:14 Not only was this drivers’ stunt poorly executed, but it was terribly timed too. Holding up traffic at an intersection, the owner of this classic American muscle car decided to ‘test’ its rear-wheel-drive capabilities by attempting to perform a series of ‘donuts’ spinning the car around through 360 degrees. Unfortunately, it seems this is one inexperienced driver, as not a single revolution was complete, and when counter-steering, they nearly slam their classic car into a telephone pole. If that ego dent wasn’t bad enough, it seems he had an audience too… 4. Mustang drivers never learn Clip starts at 00:30 Mustang drivers have an often-deserved reputation for showing off and making a total mess out of it. Unfortunately, drivers such as the one in the video above only serve to prove this stereotype true. Pulling out from what appears to be a car show, the yellow Mustang driver tries to show off by drifting the car. Predictably, the driver oversteers and ends up crashing down the embankment into the hedge. Not only did they make a fool of themselves, but the cops then gave him a few words of advice and likely a ticket; Let’s just hope they learned their lesson. 5. Undercover cops strike again Clip starts at 14.17 Another shining example of showing off in front of a crowd, the driver of this drift-styled S14 clearly thought the crowd was his only audience. Flooring the throttle and executing a rather well-done burnout, it seems that the car in front of him was watching too. Unfortunately for the driver, the car in front was actually an undercover police car. Parked up near well-publicized car meets, drivers attempting to show off make great targets for the police, and often attract their attention. While the burnout was very well executed, it’s unlikely that the police were only pulling him over to award style points.

  • 5 crazy supercar fails that show money doesn’t buy talent – Dexerto

5 crazy supercar fails that show money doesn’t buy talent YouTube: SOL – Supercars Of LondonHaving spent a vast amount of money on their pride-and-joy, supercar owners are often keen to show off their latest acquisition for all to see. Unfortunately, buying an expensive car doesn’t mean you’re instantly a better driver. Showing off for crowds is always a hit-or-miss situation, but with powerful and expensive supercars, when it goes wrong – it really goes wrong. From failed street racing to owners making a complete fool of themselves while trying to impress a crowd of cameras, here are five videos that prove a fat wallet doesn’t make you a skilled driver. Street racing ends badly One of the most famous supercar crashes in the UK actually came courtesy of YouTube star Shmee150. Back in his early ‘carspotting’ days, Shmee would film around London in areas such as Knightsbridge and Sloane Street in the hope of spotting a rare supercar or two. On this day, he turned out to be lucky in more ways than one. Spotted while racing around the streets, this Lamborghini Aventador ended up in a spectacular crash, all caught on camera by Shmee. Safe to say, the driver of this Aventador learned that London streets don’t make a great racetrack that day. Always check for curbs Sometimes the crashes aren’t anywhere near as dramatic as the driver’s reactions, and this video is a perfect example of that. While showing off to a crowd of photographers and videographers, the driver of this Lamborghini Aventador on the Modball rally revs his car for the cameras while pulling out of a junction. Unfortunately, he completely neglects to check for raised curbs while showing off and drives the six-figure supercar straight into a lane divider, destroying the front bumper. While the crash itself is entertaining, the driver’s reaction is on another level entirely. Clip starts at 1:54 The license plate was indeed correct With a license plate reading “2 fast 4u” it seems that the owner of this Jaguar F-Type was foreshadowing their own problems. While we don’t get to see the moment of impact, this F-Type in Cape Town has somehow ended up wedged in a wall after appearing to have tried to play ‘leapfrog’ with a set of bollards. It seems that this Jag was indeed “2 fast” for its driver. Fancy cars and no driving talent will always be a recipe for disaster. Lambo owner can’t drive in a straight line Clip starts at 0:18 Unfortunately, Lamborghini owners seem to feature all-too-often on these sorts of videos. Whether that’s because they’re the supercar of choice for young, inexperienced drivers or Lambo drivers just love to show off is unclear, but the sheer amount of footage doesn’t lie – Lamborghini drivers love to show off. It seems that the driver of this Lamborghini Gallardo thought they were a world-class drag racer as they flew off the line at a set of traffic lights. Sadly it seems their real-world talent didn’t match up to the fantasy, as they very quickly careered off to the left, crossing several lanes of traffic before this short ‘race’ ended in disaster. Porsche driver makes an unintended U-turn Clip starts at 0:16 Porsche 911s are renowned for their handling prowess and fantastically balanced performance. Despite their reputation, this surprisingly doesn’t mean that any driver behind the wheel of a 911 is the next Michael Schumacher, as this unfortunate chap found out. Trying to show off while joining a freeway, this driver quickly discovered that too much power and not enough talent are a dangerous combination, performing an unintended U-turn and smashing his prized Porsche into a safety barrier.

  • 5 craziest YouTuber car builds ever created – Dexerto

5 craziest YouTuber car builds ever created YouTube: Alex Choi / Hoonigan AutofocusWhile crazy-fast supercars and ultra-expensive hypercars are exciting, there’s something extra cool about seeing one-off, custom car builds. Each one of these vehicles is an extension of the owner’s personality, and they sure do grab attention. Twin-turbo kits, Lamborghinis, and drag cars all feature in our list showcasing some of YouTubes’ most insane car builds, but some are more controversial than others. With Alex Choi’s ‘Unicorn’ Lamborghini having divided option, Bisimoto’s all-electric supercar and Emelia Hartford bringing back a GMC G-body from the dead, there’s something for everyone in the list below – check it out. Alex Choi’s ‘Unicorn V3’ Lamborghini This is a car that completely broke the internet when it was unveiled. Based upon a Lamborghini Huracan, Alex Choi’s ‘Unicorn’ features a whole host of performance and aesthetic modifications. The most noticeable change is of course the bright bright pink ‘exoskeleton’ cage, but the ‘unicorn’ also runs a twin-turbo setup, custom intercoolers, and is apparently good for over 1,000hp. It may come as a shock to you to learn the unicorn is also (somehow) street legal! Alongside the engine mods, the Huracan also sports a set of Brixton Forged wheels, and has had most of its body panels removed to save weight and make room for the exo-cage. Emelia Hartford’s twin-turbo LS G-body The concept of taking an old, wrecked car and building it back up again is nothing new, but Emelia Hartford is bringing this old G-body coupe back from the dead bigger, faster, and better than ever. Having ditched the standard engine from the wrecked car, Emelia and her team have transplanted an LS motor into the car and then strapped a set of massive turbos to it for good measure. While the car is nowhere near finished as of yet, it has been started and run, along with having a set of what appear to be drag tires bolted on. With the stock LS having made 400hp, it remains to be seen just how much power this crazy franken-car puts out once they get it on the dyno. DailyDrivenExotics ‘Tire Slayer’ Lamborghini While DailyDrivenExotics has an incredible car collection involving numerous Lamborghinis, McLarens and up until recently a 2020 C8 Corvette; The most iconic and best-known of all his cars has to be the insane ‘Tire Slayer’ red Lamborghini Huracan. What was once a standard 2015 Lamborghini Huracan is now a one-off, heavily-customized tire slaying machine. Running a Sheepey race twin turbocharger setup, DDE’s Huracan puts out over 1000hp at the crank. There has been plenty of aesthetic modifications to this Huracan too. A full Vorsteiner louvre and side skirt kit has been fitted, the rear bumper has been removed to make way for the chassis-mounted carbon fibre wing and the crazy straight-piped exhaust sounds just as aggressive as it looks. Bisimoto’s K3V EV In complete contrast to the loud, brash cars featured in this list up until now, Bisimoto’s ingenious Porsche 935 tribute ‘K3V’ EV is at the cutting-edge of custom-build supercars. Featuring genuine Kremer racing body panels, the K3V is a modern-day tribute to the legendary Porsche 935 Le Mans cars. Ditching a traditional turbocharged engine for a set of 636hp (equivalent) electric motors coupled to 400v batteries, the K3V is unlike anything you’ve ever seen built before. If cars could be ninjas, this would be it. Almost totally silent apart from the tire noise, the performance from the K3V is absolutely blistering and almost spooky given the near-silent running. Cleetus McFarland ‘Leroy’ Corvette kart If cars could get ASBOs, this would be a serial offender. Say hello to Cleetus McFarland’s ‘Leroy’ stripped-back Corvette drag kart. Built upon a wrecked 2001 C5 Corvette, Cleetus has strapped a monumental set of twin turbochargers to the Corvettes LS engine which now makes over 1000hp. The body has been completely stripped of all its panels to save weight, with a tube frame ‘exoskeleton’ fitted in its place. Designed for drag racing, it currently holds the record for the fastest stick-shift (manual) Corvette over the quarter-mile, along with being the first-ever GM stick shift to make a sub-8 second pass in the quarter-mile. It may not be much of a looker, but ‘Leroy’ certainly flies.

  • 5 craziest dash cam videos expose terrible drivers – Dexerto

5 craziest dash cam videos expose terrible drivers Dashcams are an invaluable safety feature for drivers. Providing an impartial witness to any accidents or crashes, they are also a great way to save videos to share on sites such as YouTube for all to enjoy. With roads getting busier by the year, traffic building up and jobs becoming more and more stressful, it seems that there are more idiots on the road now than ever before. Thankfully, these same bad drivers provide a public service for all to enjoy when they are caught on dashcam, as there is something strangely satisfying about watching bad drivers on YouTube. Here’s 5 of the best (or should that be worst) for your enjoyment. 1. Slow and steady wins the race Video starts at 2:17 Impatient drivers are one of the most common causes of accidents on the road, and it seems that this driver is no exception. In a bid to pass the driver with the dashcam, this red coupe decided to overtake and cut in front of the cammer’s car. Unfortunately, the coupe driver misjudged the gap terribly, resulting in the car being spun out and wrecked. Thankfully no one was badly hurt, and the dashcammers car only suffered very minor damage. 2. Having a fast car doesn’t make you a good driver Video starts at 3:59 When joining a motorway in the UK, you’re expected to get up to the speed limit (or as close to it as possible) before you join the carriageway. Unfortunately, it seems the driver of this Jaguar decided the slip road was the perfect place to test the performance of his luxury sedan, which ended in a predictably disastrous way. Rounding the bend onto the slip road, the driver was pushing the car too hard in the corner and the back end stepped out. In an attempt to correct the skid, they seemingly over-compensated the counter-steer and plowed straight into the side of another unsuspecting motorist. Thankfully both cars involved were able to safely pull onto the hard shoulder. 3. This driver nearly required more than one hearse Video starts at 4:10 Overtaking on a narrow road is never a good idea. But this driver takes it one step further by overtaking when there is traffic turning right across the road ahead. To make matters worse, the driver of the red SUV not only overtook dangerously but nearly plowed at considerable speed into the side of a (thankfully unladen) hearse. Had they been a second or two slower, the hearse may well have been needed for those caught up in the prevailing accident. Thankfully the crash was avoided, but watching the footage will make you gasp at how close it was to disaster. 4. How did this driver ever earn their license Video starts at 1:13 What begins as a silly (but harmless) maneuver quickly escalates into a full-on accident. The driver of this red sedan cut up the camera car in a last-ditch attempt to exit the freeway, cutting across two lanes of traffic in the process. While that was a pretty stupid thing to do, it seems the drive is either distracted, running from someone or DUI as they then leave the road and fly into a field due to misjudging the corner ahead of them. Thankfully it seems like a fairly minor incident, but the cause of the lady’s erratic driving remains unknown. 5. This driver nearly needed their own ambulance Video starts at 10:12 For most people flashing lights, sirens, and a luminous green/yellow paint scheme is enough to alert them to the presence of emergency vehicles. Seemingly that’s not the case for this driver in the UK, who chose to pull out in front of an Ambulance who was clearly on their way to an emergency call. Thankfully the ambulance managed to stop in time, but those extra few seconds can sometimes be literally the difference between life and death for a patient, so lets hope this drivers terrible judgement didn’t cause any knock-on effect. Bonus video: Police can be bad drivers too Video starts at 5:57 Just to prove that emergency services aren’t all angels on the road, it seems that the driver of this police car in Kent, England, chose to play the ‘power card’ forcing the oncoming driver backward. While this is only a minor indiscretion, but there are a number of different spaces for the police car to pull in, not to mention they could’ve waited another 30 seconds or so for the car to pass before pulling out of their parking space.

Here are out five top cars to ever be owned by streamers. 5 of the coolest streamer cars ever seen 5. Ali-A: Audi R8 V10 plus COD YouTuber and Fortnite player Ali-A clearly has good taste in cars. Opting for a black-on-black Audi R8 V10 plus, the R8 blends usability and performance to become one of the best ‘all-round’ supercars. Assuming he bought the car new, the R8 V10 Plus would’ve set the streamer back somewhere in the region of $174,000. 4. TimTheTatman: Custom Jeep Gladiator Hellcat Here’s one car you’ll never be able to lose in a parking lot – TimTheTatman’s insane custom Jeep Gladiator. With an upgraded, supercharged motor, custom paint, lift kit, upsized wheels, and new exhaust, it’s one of the most rugged cars we’ve ever seen from a streamer. 3. Summit1G: Nissan R32 GT-R Gets here in a week. While he used to have a Nissan R35 GT-R Nismo, he upgraded to a classic R32 Skyline during 2019. The black-on-black classic Japanese performance car is an icon in its own right, and is by far one of the coolest cars owned by any internet personality or streamer. 2. MontanaBlack88 – Lamborghini Huracan Performante MontanaBlack88 has enjoyed continued success on Twitch, and was even the top streamer for a time during 2019. Known for his frank, open dialogue about his past and experiences, he has built up a loyal fanbase as a variety streamer. To get around, he chose a Lamborghini Huracan Performante in bright green. With its naturally-aspirated V10 engine and iconic styling, the Huracan Performante is a perfect statement car for the famous streamer. 1. CyanidePlaysGames: McLaren 720s Cyanide is a variety streamer with over 400,000 subscribers. With the majority of his VODs and streams based around racing game Assetto Corsa Competizione, it’s no surprise that he’s into his cars, in a big way. His ride of choice for 2018 and 2019 was a McLaren 720s. Widely praised as one of the best cars McLaren have ever made, it would’ve set the streamer back around $282,000 new. With a mix of custom builds and all-out supercars, the world of Twitch streamers’ cars is a varied place indeed. No doubt as viewing figures grow, so will their garages. Hopefully, we’ll see more cool custom builds and supercars throughout the next year.

  • 4 videos that prove cops hate rich supercar owners – Dexerto

4 videos that prove cops hate rich supercar owners YouTube: DailyDrivenExoticsWhether it’s jealousy or simply because the owners are acting stupidly; Cops love to pull over supercars. Sometimes it’s justified, other times not so much. Here are 4 videos that will convince you that cops really, really don’t like supercar drivers. Occasionally owners bring it upon themselves; Revving their cars obnoxiously, driving fast in residential zones and obstructing traffic are all valid reasons for the police to pull drivers over, regardless of the car they’re in. Sometimes though, things seem a little biased against those in ultra-expensive supercars and hypercars, as these videos prove. Cops pull over Lamborghini Aventador for no reason Clip starts at 2:25 Usually, it’s hard to tell whether there have been any traffic violations committed by the driver prior to being filmed, but in this instance, the whole thing has been caught on camera. While we can’t see if there is any sign prohibiting U-turns, the driver of this Aventador appears to make a perfectly-legal U-turn at a set of lights. Unfortunately, there is a police cruiser sat at the lights opposite. Pulling away from the turn the Lamborghini accelerates but seemingly without breaking the speed limit, yet the cops still pull the driver over; Clearly they aren’t a fan of loud exhausts. 6 police cruisers for 1 traffic stop Clip starts at 0:20 Damon and the DailyDrivenExotics crew don’t have the best track record with the Police, especially stateside. Perhaps its the loud exhausts and whacky liveries; Whatever it is, they’re a magnet for unwanted police attention. In the clip above, the police initially stop the McLaren citing “impeding traffic” as the violation. This then progresses on to speeding, with a total of 6 police cruisers attending this peaceful, simple traffic stop at its peak. Quite whether they thought the driver would do a runner, or whether they all just wanted a moment of YouTube fame, 6 cruisers seems completely excessive even for a large traffic stop, let alone one car. Lamborghini Murcielago towed by stubborn cop Clip starts at 13:05 This one could be down to a technical glitch, but it seems that Damon has problems with his Canadian license far too often; Likely because of the attention that his cars attract. Having been pulled over for allegedly speeding, the officer then informs Damon that his license is, in fact, suspended. Damon protests and even goes as far as calling his attorney who confirms it’s all clear, but as he says “he (the police officer) holds the badge and gun, so…” With the Lambo eventually getting towed, it’s a massive inconvenience over a problem that didn’t actually exist to start with; If Damon had been in an everyday car, chances are he would’ve never been stopped in the first place. Proof that cops pull supercars for no reason Clip starts at 15:30 For years supercar owners have pleaded innocence, insisting that police pull them over for no reason other than because of their cars. It seems that there is finally video proof of this happening. While filming a stunt video involving wearing a racing suit on the road (and speaking about how much they want to “track” the McLaren) Dave from DailyDrivenExotics is pulled over. Having taken their license and registration, the cop is pretty quick to admit that they aren’t in trouble for anything and merely pulled them over to “check they have a license”- most likely, the cop just wanted a closer look at the car! Maybe sometimes these supercar owners are pulled over for nothing.

  • 4 supercars that will make you look rich for the same price as a normal car – Dexerto

4 supercars that will make you look rich for the same price as a normal car YouTube: Canadian RiderWith the average price of a new car in America rising to $39,000 for an ‘everyday’ Toyota or Ford, there are several supercars and sports cars that now look like a bargain. More importantly, they will make you look rich without breaking the bank. Of course ‘cheap’ is relative; Compared to the price of a brand new car, these iconic supercars look like a bargain as they have dropped so much from the original dealer prices. Servicing and repair costs are also not included in the price, meaning you would have to set aside money for upkeep. With that said, however, when a brand-new Toyota sedan is only a few thousand dollars cheaper than a high-performance supercar, these vehicles suddenly look very, very good value indeed. The supercar: Audi R8 V8 Manual Made famous by Tony Stark in the Iron Man films, the first-generation Audi R8 is one of the biggest bargains on this list. For supercar looks and performance without the supercar price tag, the Audi R8 is a sure-fire way to look rich without splashing too much cash. Originally retailing for well over $100,000 you can now find the original Audi R8 for less than $45,000; That’s cheaper than a new Ford Explorer Limited. With 430hp on tap and a gorgeous gated transmission, the R8 is the cream of the cheap supercar crop. The practical option: Bentley Continental GT When the now-iconic Bentley Continental GT launched back in 2003, prices started at $135,000. With four seats, celebrity status and luxury everywhere you look, the Bentley Continental GT is the practical option on this list. Depreciation hasn’t been kind to the Conti GT, but that does mean that examples are now available for around $30-35,000 for early models. A Bentley that’s cheaper than the average new family car in the US? Yep, you read that correctly. The suave option: Aston Martin Vantage It’s impossible to think of Aston Martin without thinking of James Bond. If that’s the effect you want to have on people that see you; You’ll be overjoyed to hear that the 2006/07 Aston Martin Vantage is now an affordable everyday car. Despite its age, the Vantage still looks every bit as crisp and stylish as the day it was released. With a sumptuous interior, drop-dead gorgeous styling and a glorious 430hp V8 engine; The 06/07 Aston Martin Vantage seems a steal at only $35,000. The Italian Stallion: Maserati Granturismo Maserati may not be the first name that comes to mind when thinking of luxury cars, but the Maserati Granturismo is certainly worthy of its place on this list. Originally costing ~$115,000 when new, this luxurious GT car is powered by a Ferrari-sourced 4.2l V8 engine with over 400hp. As you can probably imagine, it sounds absolutely glorious, which, backed up by its stunning styling, makes it an ideal luxury car for those who want to look rich on a budget. With examples available for as little as $31,000, the Granturismo is a supercar thoroughbred with a city car price tag.

  • 4 of the most dramatic stolen supercar recoveries caught on camera – Dexerto

4 of the most dramatic stolen supercar recoveries caught on camera YouTube: Royalty Exotic CarsOwning an exotic car rental company comes with its challenges. YouTuber Houston Crosta of Royalty Exotic Cars is all-too-familiar with this, regularly posting videos of ‘repo’ jobs on his channel. Here are four of the most dramatic yet. Renting out six-figure cars to strangers is a risky game. The majority of Royalty Exotic Cars’ customers are law-abiding citizens looking to have a good time, but as always, the minority try and spoil it for everyone else. Thankfully the owner, Houston Crosta, is well-versed in these situations and is no stranger to getting his property back by force. Posting the ‘repo’ videos to the Royalty Exotic Cars YouTube channel, they represent an entertaining window into the ‘dark side’ of supercar life. “They started throwing gang signs” While supercar and exotic car rentals aren’t cheap, that’s still no excuse for using stolen money to pay for them. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what this renter did when borrowing a Slingshot from Houston’s business. Confronting the scammer in a major Las Vegas casino, a crowd quickly gathers around the two parties. When the scammer group starts throwing gang signs, things escalate quickly, requiring the casino security to step in. Given that a slingshot rents for around $400 for a day, this is a lot of confrontation and potential disaster just for a set of keys. Clip starts at 9:36 “I’m an honest man!” Despite this driver’s protests, he clearly was not an “honest man.” Having stolen REC’s Corvette and taken it for a joyride around the city, he really did not want to give Houston the key back. Thankfully, rental companies always keep spares, meaning that Crosta was able to recover the car – but not without a fight. What’s more, the driver kept making references to illegal substances in the car, suggesting that the driver may have been on them at the time of the altercation. This is one repo that could’ve ended far, far worse for Crosta. “The dirtiest car I’ve ever picked up” Proving its not always random criminals that try and get away with stealing his cars, this time a Universal Music artist decided that they wanted to not only steal, but trash, two REC cars. Flying all the way out to LA to collect them both, the Lamborghini Huracan was found in a disgusting condition. The renters had left empty bottles, canisters, and all manner of items in the car. It smelt so bad in fact, that Crosta was left retching after looking around the car. Not only did they make off with a Huracan, but also a Range Rover. Thankfully, this was found promptly and in much better condition, after the original renters sub-let the car to strangers. Finishing the video with a bit of advice, Houston tells his followers to “never start a rental company in California!” Clip starts at 2:54 “Not again!” It seems that the C7 Corvette is a magnet for dodgy renters. The same car that features in the video above, this time it was stolen in tandem with a Range Rover. After giving the renters 72hrs to return the car, Crosta is able to land felony charges on the renters as the vehicles are officially reported as stolen. Given that the Corvette is worth $60k and the Range Rover worth $90k, these renters are sat with $150k of stolen property on their driveway. Thankfully the hand-over was much less dramatic this time. Houston also gave a rare insight into his views on the situation. “You try really hard to be mean [because they effectively stole his cars] but it’s hard to be mean when they’re being nice!” With high risk comes high reward, and judging by the insane fleet seen at Royalty Exotic Cars, the reward is worth the occasional risk. With Houston having his own private fleet of hypercars too, it seems that the hard work pays off.

  • 100 Thieves CouRage buys his dream Lamborghini supercar – Dexerto

100 Thieves CouRage buys his dream Lamborghini supercar Twitter: CouRageJD / Lamborghini100 Thieves content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has revealed on Twitter that he has reached another milestone in his career, expecting to take delivery of his brand new supercar this week – the Lamborghini Urus. Revealing the purchase of his dream car is an exciting step in his career, but Jack took it one step further; Rather than simply revealing the purchase, he also wants to educate his audience on the reality and risks of supercar buying and ownership. The Lamborghini in question is a 2020 Lamborghini Urus. Lambo’s first foray into the ‘Super SUV’ marketplace, the Urus is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine putting out 641hp and smashing 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Starting at $220k, with options the price could easily exceed a quarter of a million dollars. CouRage is clearly a fan of the Lamborghini’s blend of practicality and performance, calling it a “great mix of luxury, speed, and sex appeal.” 9 months ago, I put my down payment on my dream car. This week, it arrives. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to do this after taking care of my family, making smart investments, and being financially responsible. A lot of sacrifices have paid off. 2020 Lamborghini Urus ? — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 12, 2020 “A lot of sacrifices” Dunlop revealed that he paid the down payment on the car 9 months ago, and has kept it under wraps until August 12, when he announced the news on Twitter. Speaking about his latest purchase, he explained it has not been a case of simply buying the car with ease or walking into a dealer one day and selecting the one he wants on a whim. He said that “A lot of sacrifices have paid off” suggesting that it has been a give-and-take situation to get to where he is now. Eh…it’s less that and more that I have a lot of younger viewers who don’t know how bad of an investment a car can be. This wasn’t a spontaneous decision. It was made with extreme caution and wouldn’t have been purchased unless it made sense for me to do it. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 12, 2020 CouRage also wants to use his platform and large following to educate his fans on the financial responsibilities of such a purchase: “Younger viewers don’t know how bad of an investment a car can be” – especially relevant when he’s talking about a car that costs upwards of $220,000 when new. Elaborating on the situation, Jack explains that he’s been “fortunate enough to be able to do this after taking care of my family, making smart investments, and being financially responsible” and “This [buying the Urus] wasn’t a spontaneous decision. It was made with extreme caution and wouldn’t have been purchased unless it made sense for me to do it.” YouTubers often take flak in the comment section and online for recklessly buying and switching up their vehicles with apparent ease. It is refreshing that someone like CouRage, with his army of followers and subscribers on his YouTube channel, is open and frank about the situation in the hope that it will educate the next generation.

  • Effspot makes a Prius ridiculously loud with free exhaust mod – Dexerto

Effspot makes a Prius ridiculously loud with free exhaust mod YouTube: effspotEffspot is a car YouTuber based in California, who uses a Toyota Prius hybrid as his daily driver. By normal standards, this is the perfect eco-friendly car for Californian streets, but after being targeted by thieves, the Prius has become somewhat less street-friendly than Toyota ever intended. While parked up at the side of the road outside his home, effspot – real name Gordon Cheng – discovered that the catalytic converters had been stolen from his Toyota Prius hybrid. Scrap metal thieves had jacked his car up, made the cut in the exhaust piping, and put the car back on the ground without Cheng or anyone else noticing. Why are catalytic converters stolen? Cheng explains that cars such as the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight (a similar hybrid city car) are targeted due to their low weight, meaning the thieves can lift the car easily for access. Catalytic converters are stolen for their high scrap value since precious metals are used in the converters to filter out harmful exhaust gases. These precious metals can then be extracted and sold on the black market for a profit. Video starts at 7:18 Free exhaust mods The Prius starts up in electric-only mode, but as soon as it switches over to gasoline mode the results of the thieves work are hilarious to behold. The once dormouse-quiet hybrid turned out to be louder than Cheng’s Mercedes S600 without its muffler, which no doubt annoyed his neighbors somewhat. Taking the Prius for a drive, the level of noise coming from the cat-less car is genuinely hilarious to witness. Despite not going above 40mph, the car sounds as if it is doing at least double that, sending Cheng and his friends into fits of laughter. Perhaps the greatest part is that this urban runabout now pops and bangs like a custom exhaust when Cheng lets off the throttle. This is usually an expensive modification to make to a car, but it has been achieved here for the grand total of $0 thanks to some metal thieves. Realistically though it isn’t going to be a ‘free’ modification. The state of California has some of the strictest emissions laws in the world, and replacing the catalytic converter is going to cost effspot upwards of $1500 due to the tight emissions testing and restrictions.
