  • When is CoD Mobile Season 11? Release date, new maps & more – Dexerto

When is CoD Mobile Season 11? Release date, new maps & more ActivisionCall of Duty Mobile Season 11 is on the horizon but the devs are being quite secretive with new details. Regardless, here’s everything we know so far. [jwplayer TOm15V8S] Call of Duty Mobile Season 10, The Hunt, is almost at its endpoint after bringing Terminal, Pine, the Echo shotgun, new characters, and changes to the Battle Royale mode. As a result, players have been looking ahead to see what Season 11 might offer, but unlikely previous seasons, the devs have decided against running a test server in order to keep things secret. With the season shrouded in plenty of mystery, including when exactly it will release, we’ve nailed down some of the details that we know right now. When is CoD Mobile Season 11? The question on everybody’s lips is, when will Season 11 actually get underway? The CoD Mobile devs have stated mid-October would be the target date, and it’s going to be dead center of the week. CoD Mobile Season 11 will be releasing on October 14 at 5pm PST / 8pm EST / 1 AM BST (the next day). Haha, you almost tricked us into answering that one, but we’ll have some posts coming up at the end of this week that will make that incredibly clear. — Call of Duty: Mobile (@PlayCODMobile) October 6, 2020 What new maps and weapon will be in CoD Mobile Season 11? As for what maps and weapons could be around, the devs have once again been secretive on that front but it hasn’t been completely radio silent. On October 3, they teased the return of an old map, and it didn’t take long before fans recognized that it would be Halloween Standoff. The broken wall and destroyed tank from the iconic Black Ops 2 map gave the game away. However, as we saw in Season 10, the devs aren’t averse to putting in multiple maps, so we could see something else too. As for weapons, they’ve teased “multiple” coming in Season 11, but haven’t gone any further than that. Who is the new character in CoD Mobile Season 11? Given that the Halloween version of Standoff will be returning, it makes sense that someone with a spooky sort of name or vibe could be available as a character. That’s right, we’re talking about Ghost. Some fans have suggested that he could appear in Season 11, but given that everything is pretty much under wraps, we’ll just have to wait and see on that front. As we get closer to Season 11, and when it ultimately releases, we’ll know more about the devs have in store. So, keep checking back in with Dexerto as we’ll keep this post update with the latest news, rumors, and speculation regarding the new season.

  • When is CDL Seattle? Schedule, teams, more – Dexerto

When is CDL Seattle? Schedule, teams, more Activision / DexertoWith reigning champs Atlanta FaZe on the sidelines, who will take the next Call of Duty League title? We look ahead to CDL Seattle, where Huntsmen will be looking to return to winning ways. CDL Florida saw Atlanta FaZe take home top honors, after both the Mutineers and RØKKR crashed out in the group stages. Following a complete roster shuffle, OpTic Gaming LA will be looking to go one step further and take their first-ever CDL event as they head into their third consecutive tournament. Seattle Surge, Chicago Huntsmen and their local rivals, Los Angeles Guerrillas, will each have something to say about that, as they’re welcomed back into the fold. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of CDL Seattle. When is CDL Seattle? CDL Seattle will take place between May 22-24. Given the current global situation, the Call of Duty League will continue to operate with an online format — meaning that events will now pan across three days as opposed to two. The event format hasn’t changed, so the first team from each group to score two wins will head straight to the semifinals on May 24. Teams who manage to get through with two wins and one loss will shortly follow. Who is playing in CDL Seattle? All eight teams have been split into two groups. Two from each group will make it to the single-elimination bracket, while two will be heading home early. Here’s how both groups weigh up. Group A London Royal Ravens – Los Angeles Guerrillas – Seattle Surge – New York Subliners – Group B Paris Legion – Chicago Huntsmen – Minnesota RØKKR – OpTic Gaming Los Angeles – Kicking off things in Group A will be the Royal Ravens versus Guerrillas. Both teams are yet to go head-to-head, but the Brit’s will be looking to get off to a good start after a poor dip in form from the previous two events. The hosts have a tough opener against New York Subliners, but after Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt recently stepped back into the starting lineup, this could be the shift in momentum the squad needs. On the other side of the fence in Group B, Legion will be locking horns with Huntsmen (who are rumored to be shuffling things around with their starting roster). Meanwhile, OpTic will have to fend off Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown and co., as RØKKR will be looking to bounce-back from their early exit at CDL Florida. 1st Place – 50 CDL Points – 2nd Place – 30 CDL Points – 3rd/4th Place – 20 CDL Points – 5th/6th Place – 10 CDL Points – 7th/8th Place – 0 CDL Points – The action from two double-elimination groups on Friday and Saturday will lead to Sunday’s playoffs. Chicago Huntsmen claimed the first tournament win of the season at CDL London, but with Atlanta FaZe absent, many fans will be keen to see how things play out once both favorites have to go head-to-head for the title. Not only will FaZe be attending the next CDL tournament, they’ll be hosting it on home soil. It will be Atlanta’s only home event of the Modern Warfare season, so the team will undoubtedly be hoping to live up to their billing as perhaps the league’s best team, and pick up a big victory in front of the home crowd. When is CDL Atlanta? CDL Atlanta is taking place over Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23. The event will be held at the Gateway Center Arena, with the Atlanta FaZe team acting as hosts. To meet in Atlanta, however, they will have to each get out of separate groups in order to set up a playoff battle. With the Huntsmen having picked up a win in London in FaZe’s absence, Atlanta will undoubtedly be looking to pick up their own first win on home soil. • When is Call of Duty Warzone coming out then? – Dexerto

When is Call of Duty Warzone coming out then? Infinity WardWarzone is coming out tomorrow – something Call of Duty fans have said just about every Monday for the past several weeks. March 3 was tipped by many to be the day Modern Warfare’s new battle royale released but, of course, that turned out to be false. So, when is Warzone actually coming? Modern Warfare Season 2 brought an array of new additions to the game but perhaps most noticeable is what it excluded. The main menu of Modern Warfare was updated to include a ‘classified’ section which has been universally accepted as where the eventual battle royale mode will release. It initially led fans to believe ‘Warzone’ would drop the day after on February 14. This was one of many disappointing days for those who are awaiting its release. Warzone release date It’s getting to the point now where it seems silly to keep speculating on when Warzone will indeed release. That’s not stopping anyone else though, and it certainly won’t stop us trying to piece the seemingly impossible puzzle together. March 3 had obviously been extra anticipated and outside a change of plans, this was wrong, too. However, there is a slight glimmer of hope for March 5. That’s because Black Ops 4’s Blackout beta was released five days before version 1.0. That means we are assuming, which is a dangerous game when it comes to Warzone, that March 10 is the full release. Hmm… Could this be a hint towards the Call of Duty Warzone release date? ? “Warbeast – in cinemas from March 3rd.” ? This was spotted underground in the Piccadilly map. #Warzone pic.twitter.com/bxtpDBXKyF — Call of Duty Warzone News (@BattleRoyaleCoD) February 21, 2020 Modern Warfare’s battle royale is by no means guaranteed to keep the same schedule as what Treyarch did with Blackout, though. There may not even be a beta. Regardless, that doesn’t rule out March 10 as the full release. It is expected a trailer will come beforehand and that many streamers/influencers will show off footage that they captured in a super secret meeting in Los Angeles back in February. This also aligns with the schedule of the weekly challenges. In order to fit the four supposed Warzone challenges in before the end of Season 2, it would have to release on March 10. Call of Duty and clown memes? Those within the CoD community have even been poking fun at themselves. Call of Duty fans know that updates go live in Modern Warfare on a Tuesday so it’s understandable this day has been consistently earmarked as the potential Warzone release day. Every Tuesday is the same – hype builds for a potential announcement/release and then nothing happens. This has resulted in many clown memes being posted from players poking fun at those (and themselves) who get excited every week. Elsewhere, the Warzone marketing campaign, or lack thereof, has been mocked. Some would argue that Call of Duty’s silence is actually marketing genius. After all, the mode is still the hottest topic in CoD forums. I used to think I was the clown expecting Warzone. But now I realise Infinity Ward is the real clown for not even marketing a battle Royale mode that most people already know about. pic.twitter.com/aFlUuvNuwB — Risky Guy (@RiskyGuyCL1) March 3, 2020 Just when battle royale players were hoping for an announcement, Call of Duty instead decided to reveal a new Tamagotchi, of all things. The description of the bundle even read: “Dinosaurs, fire-breathing dragons, and an evolving watch that will have you gaming the warzone.” It appears they’re even poking fun at their own silence. All signs continue to point to March 10 but, at this point, we’ll just take it whenever we get it. Surely Activision and Infinity Ward can’t make us wait until Season 3?

  • When is Call of Duty: MW2 Remastered coming out? Rumors, release date and more – Dexerto

When is Call of Duty: MW2 Remastered coming out? Rumors, release date and more It’s been over a year since multiple sources claimed that a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) was coming, but we’re still waiting. Here’s everything we know so far about the remaster of a classic. In March 2018, our sister site CharlieINTEL reported that sources had sent materials from a Raven Software employee, confirming that MW2 remastered was coming – but not as expected. It was rumored that the remaster would only include campaign, and not the multiplayer portion of the game – the mode it was most famous for. However, since 2018 was Treyarch’s year to shine, releasing Black Ops 4 in October, everything went silent on these rumors of MW2 remastered, as Activision pushed the next big release. Now that we are into 2019 though, it means Infinity Ward’s time in the limelight is upon us, and the potential of an MW2 remaster is far more likely this year. We still don’t know what new title Infinity Ward will release, but it is generally accepted that a fourth entry in the Modern Warfare series will be their strongest move. Pair this with a remaster of perhaps the most beloved MW game, and sales projections will go through the roof. While no confirmation has yet been made, a new entry on the European Ratings Board titled “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered” popped up on February, giving credence to the various rumors that have popped up over the last few months. Undoubtedly the most likely release date will be alongside whatever new title Infinity Ward will release in late 2019. Black Ops 4 released in October, but CoD games have typically released in November of each year. There is every possibility that a ‘Modern Warfare 4’ will drop in October/November 2019, with a remastered version of Modern Warfare 2 bundled in with special editions – just like how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remastered was released with Infinite Warfare. Perhaps Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will come earlier though, as players have spotted a sign in Modern Warfare Remastered, on the map ‘Beach Bog’, which says ‘coming Summer 2019’. While this might not be a clue at all, some fans think it could be a sneaky hint at what is in the works. Will Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have multiplayer? Reports from CharlieINTEL, Eurogamer and Kotaku all suggested that MW2 remastered would be campaign only – and fans hated this news. Since everything went quiet, it’s possible that Activision/Infinity Ward saw the backlash to the ‘no multiplayer’ news, and went back to the drawing board. When CoD: MWR released with Infinite Warfare, it was originally campaign only, for 30 days. Hopefully, when MW2 remastered drops, it will either have multiplayer on release, or it will be added later – but we can’t confirm anything. Update: A new leak claims that both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 will be remastered and released with Modern Warfare 4 – but will campaign only at launch: [MW4] will come with MW2 & MW3 remastered, campaign only but there was talk of Multiplayer being released on both throughout the year. They don’t want to drop 3 different games with 3 different multiplayers all at once. Who will develop MW2 Remastered? Sources have claimed that unlike the original Modern Warfare Remastered, MW2 Remastered will not be developed by Raven Software. If true, that leaves realistically only three other possibilities – Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Beenox. Infinity Ward will (presumably) have their hands full with MW4, so would surely need to draft in some help. Sledgehammer have become a mainstay developer in Call of Duty now, but previously worked side-by-side with Infinity Ward on the development on Modern Warfare 3 – so perhaps the studios will team up again to split the workload. Finally, Beenox, a smaller development team, have been working to support the main CoD dev teams already, and even assisted on the original Modern Warfare remaster. They also went on a hiring spree in 2018 for CoD related roles, so this is the most likely team to be working on MW2 Remastered. How much will MW2 Remastered cost? It’s unknown whether MW2 Remastered will drop as a bundled item with 2019’s new release, or as a standalone title. However, in early 2018, an Amazon Italy listing showed a ‘COD MW2 Remastered’ for PlayStation 4, and it was only €19.99. This price seemed more reasonable if the Remaster was only campaign, however it’s unclear how legitimate this Amazon listing was. Both BestBuy and Target said in Tweets that they had no information regarding when ‘pre-orders of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered’ would be available – Target later deleted their Tweet however. Activision has begun making a habit of remastering some of its classics, with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remasters dropping in 2018 to great commercial success, both at around $30. However, if MW2 Remastered was released with campaign and multiplayer, the price might be a bit higher. Finally, an unconfirmed leak from someone who claims to be a former QA tester at Treyarch has revealed more details about Modern Warfare 4, and the potential remaster of Modern Warfare 2. This post will be updated with rumors, news and more as it becomes available. • How to download Call of Duty Mobile – maps, modes, weapons, more – Dexerto

How to download Call of Duty Mobile – maps, modes, weapons, more ActivisionThe legendary Call of Duty franchise has finally made its way into the mobile sector, as Activision are looking to capitalize on the craze surrounding the market. While a lot of the attention is on the upcoming Modern Warfare re-imagining from Infinity Ward, Acitivision have teamed up with Chinese-mega publisher Tencent and their TIMI Studios to create Call of Duty: Mobile for worldwide audiences. Even though console die-hards will stick to their platforms of choice, Call of Duty: Mobile has introduced new ways to interact with the franchise while taking the action on-the-go. How to download Call of Duty: Mobile? Activision announced that the official release date for Call of Duty: Mobile was to be on October 1, but the game was made available for download early on September 30. To download, Apple users must visit the iOS App Store, while those on Android will need to access the Google Play Store. Please keep in mind that the Apple version of the game is only compatible on iOS 9 or later. What Scorestreaks and loadouts are in Call of Duty: Mobile? Players expecting a slim version of Call of Duty for the mobile version will be pleased to hear that there will be a similar create-a-character feature to mainline iterations of the series. While creating a loadout, players will be able to equip a primary and secondary weapon from the game’s arsenal, while also attaching up to three Perks, a grenade option, a weapon skill, all the while choosing which gun skin to apply for further customization. Primary weapons include Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, LMGs, SMGs, and Shotguns, while the secondary weapons include Pistols, Melee Weapons, and Launchers. As for Scorestreaks, the ones currently available are: Recon Car – UAV – Hunter Killer Drone – Air Supply Drop – Counter UAV – Missile Strike – Drone – Sentry Gun – SAM Turret – Stealth Chopper – VTOL – What modes are in Call of Duty: Mobile? Since “multiplayer is the foundation” of Call of Duty: Mobile, the game will be packed with fan-favorite modes: Free-For-All*: The classic every-player-for-themselves deathmatch. – Frontline**: After spawning at a team base, defeat players on the opposing team. – Team Deathmatch**: The classic defeat-players-on-the-opposing-team mode. – Hardpoint**: Capture and hold the hardpoint to earn points. – Domination**: Capture and hold the designated positions to gain points. – There will also be three different types of matches for players to jump into which include normal, ranked and private. Although, ranked playlists will give players a chance to game XP and more in-game items. Classic Call of Duty characters The publishers are giving Call of Duty: Mobile players a library of classic characters from the franchise to play as throughout the various modes in the game. So far, Black Ops characters like David ‘Section’ Mason and Alex Mason have been announced. Similarly, Modern Warfare fans will get reacquainted with Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, John ‘Soap’ McTavish and John Price. Digging through their backlog of rich characters, Activision will have tons of opportunities to add various unlockable figures to their mobile game. What maps does Call of Duty: Mobile have? Since Activision is going for mass-appeal with Call of Duty: Mobile, longtime franchise veterans will instantly recognize many of the maps that are available in the game. Nuketown – Crash – Hijacked – Crossfire – Standoff – Killhouse – Firing Range – Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale? Most notable, the mobile iteration of the franchise will have a 100-player battle royale for players to drop into. Taking a similar approach to Black Ops 4: Blackout, the mode will be a free-for-all slaughterfest with solos, a two-player team, or a full four-person squad. The battle royale mode will have vehicles that traverse air, land, and sea, with the option of playing in first or third-person perspectives. There will be six classes for players to choose from before dropping onto the battlefield, and players will be gathering “weapons and equipment you’ll recognize from across the series.” Players will be able to choose from the Medic, Scout, Clown, Ninja, Defender and Mechanic classes which bring their own unique advantages to the battlefield. For example, the Clown will be able to utilize a Toy Bomb which will “summon zombies that only attacks units near them,” while the Ninja can use a Grapple Gun and a familiar Dead Silence ability that “increases stealth movement.” How much does Call of Duty: Mobile cost? Activision is making their first jump into the mobile market a free-to-play experience, but the company will count on a ton of microtransactions to generate revenue for the title. The publisher assured that the game can be played without committing any money to it, but cosmetics, skins, and the ability to skip tiers in the Battle Pass or Premium Battle Pass.

  • When is Building 21 back in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode? – Dexerto

When is Building 21 back in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode? ActivisionBuilding 21 is a new location in DMZ, only available at limited times. Here’s when the extremely valuable location comes back into effect in the Warzone 2 mode. Building 21 was a surprise hit among the Warzone 2 community – according to many, it was an overall better version of DMZ. Infinity Ward surprised players on December 20 by pulling it from Warzone without any prior notice. While it was public knowledge that the map is a temporary addition, its sudden departure confused a lot of players and left a sour taste. “This is really confusing,” commented PrestigeIsKey, a Call of Duty content creator. Many replies agreed, with some accusing Infinity Ward of “time-gating content for no reason.” Unfortuntaley for fans that missed out on accessing Building 21 the first go around, they will need to wait a little longer to access it again. As the map is on a regular rotation, you need to be fast to access it. Here’s when the mode is next slated to return. When is Building 21 coming back? On January 3, Infinity Ward announced Building 21 has been “shut down” again temporarily. Its next appearance is locked in for Friday, January 6, however, meaning fans don’t have to wait all too long. To access Building 21, players can farm keycards to access Building 21 in the DMZ before it comes back. Or prepare by reading our Building 21 weapons case guide to check out the map’s rewards. Outfitting your guns with the most meta attachments is also recommended for the brutal firefights in Building 21.

  • When is Black Ops Cold War Season 1? Roadmap, Warzone integration, more – Dexerto

When is Black Ops Cold War Season 1? Roadmap, Warzone integration, more TreyarchBlack Ops Cold War is all the talk in Call of Duty right now. Players will have a whole lot more content waiting in Season 1! Here’s everything you need to know, including the release date, info about Warzone integration, and more. Season one of Black Ops Cold War comes jam-packed with a lot of content for the Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Even more is on its way once the game’s ‘preseason’ period wraps up. Treyarch will be rolling out a flurry of new experiences for CoD players to enjoy across all modes, including Warzone, which will finally debut its highly anticipated next chapter. Everything you need to know about BOCW S1 Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 1 release date for PlayStation, Xbox & PC – Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Roadmap & new content – Multiplayer – BOCW x Warzone integration: weapons, progression, more – New Zombies modes – Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 1 release date for PlayStation, Xbox & PC Unfortunately, Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War has been delayed to December 16, 2020 – six days after its original release date. According to Activision, the developers are using this extra time to “finalize everything.” So, fans will have to wait just a bit longer to get their hands on it. Treyarch will release three different patches in order to prepare the game for the major update. One was released on December 8, while the last two will come on December 15 and 16, respectively. The patches and final update will go live on the same day for all platforms. Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Roadmap & new content Above you can see everything new coming to Black Ops Cold War in Season 1, including the highly-anticipated Warzone integration, but let’s take a deeper look at what you can expect. Multiplayer New multiplayer maps As mentioned above, there’s a lot of new goodies for players to keep busy with come December 16. Read More: All Black Ops Cold War guides & walkthroughs – For multiplayer, there will be new 6v6 maps and modes, new weapons, another Fireteam map, and the return of Modern Warfare’s 2v2 Gunfight mode. The new 6v6 maps coming to the game are as follows: Raid – The Pines – Nuketown ’84 Holiday – The four new Gunfight maps are called U-Bahn, ICBM, KGB and Game Show, while the new Fireteam map, Sanatorium, will be arriving later in the season. New scorestreaks, gamemodes and weapons As well as new maps, we’ve got a bunch of new streaks, modes and guns headed to the game during Season 1. Prop Hunt will be added at launch, and a new ‘Dropkick’ mode will be available later on in the season. Similarly, the MAC-10 submachine gun and Groza assault rifle will be available from Day 1, but the Streetsweeper shotgun will be added in down the line. Finally, two new scorestreaks will be available as soon as the update goes live on December 16: the Tactical Raft and H.A.R.P. It’s not yet clear where they will fit into the current set of streaks available in the game. New Prestige levels, Prestige Master, & challenges The Prestige ranking system is back in Call of Duty but BOCW’s version works a bit different to past titles. Following the ‘preseason’ period, in which players can Prestige up to three times, the launch of Season 1 will introduce a whole new depth to the system. S1, and every season that follows, will have four additional Prestige ranks to achieve across the first 200 levels. These include a new Weapon Blueprint that can be unlocked at level 50. Players who manage to hit level 200 in all four will earn the rank of Prestige Master and unlock Prestige icons from past CoD games. It doesn’t end there, either; there will be 1000 levels available in each season. So, you’ll have plenty to level up for even after you get Prestige Master. Lastly, Season One will add two sets of new challenges. Players will get 20 for multiplayer and 20 for Zombies. The challenges are unlocked a few at a time as you progress towards Level 200. If you manage to hit Level 200, unlock all the challenges, and complete them, you’ll earn an animated Season Master Calling Card as a reward. BOCW x Warzone integration: weapons, progression, more One of the more highly anticipated parts of Season 1 will be the integration of Black Ops Cold War in Warzone. This integration will come in two parts: weapon integration and unification of the progression systems. Before that, though, let’s take a look at what’s new and the biggest changes hitting the battle royale title. New Warzone map: Rebirth Island While players have grown to love Verdansk and the locations associated with it, the integration with Cold War will introduce a whole new map to the game: Rebirth Island. Based on Activision’s official blog post, it doesn’t seem that Rebirth Island will be a direct replacement to Verdansk, but will instead work in tandem with it, offering players “intense, close-quarter action with a similar playstyle to Warzone’s Mini BR mode.” Two new Gulags in Warzone As well as a whole new map, the Black Ops Cold War Season 1 update will be bringing two new Gulag experiences to Warzone, which we’ve explained in-depth here. The first is the Gulag as we know it now but in a slightly different setting: a smaller version of Nuketown ’84, with players confined to the large area between the two houses. The other Gulag sees players plunged deep below the floors of Rebirth Island’s Prison Block, maintaining the traditional Gulag experience but with metal detectors to make moving around even harder. New ‘Resurgence’ mode Although it isn’t named in the graphic up top, Warzone will be getting a brand new mode called ‘Resurgence’, in which enemy locations will be revealed if you kill one of their teammates, making for high-paced and high-stakes action. However, if you die in this mode, you won’t be visiting the Gulag for a second chance. Instead, you’ll have to wait until the ‘Rebirth Countdown’ reaches zero, after which you’ll automatically be dropped back into the fray. Weapon Integration In Season 1, Warzone players can choose loadouts from both BOCW and MW. Read More: 7 weapons you should be using in BOCW – From December 16, you’ll have access to every weapon from BOCW in Warzone, including Season 1 additions outlined above. Players will be able to choose between loadouts from Cold War and Modern Warfare, essentially doubling the battle royale’s weapon arsenal in a single update. Battle Pass & progression unification Season 1 will combine the progression of Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Modern Warfare into a singular system. This means your level in one game will be the same for all three and any XP gained will apply across the board. While this won’t change much in Cold War specifically, Warzone and MW players will see their ranks reset and start fresh on December 16, in order to match up with BOCW. You’ll also keep anything you’ve already unlocked or completed in those games. New Zombies modes With Zombies being a big focal point in BOCW, Treyarch’s got stuff coming for that as well, in the form of two brand new game modes: Jingle Hells and Cranked. Jingle Hells is a Limited-Time Mode (LTM) that turns the Die Maschine map into “more of a winter wasteland than a wonderland,” with decorations and holiday spirit in abundance. This is expected to arrive during launch week of Season 1. Cranked will be coming later in the season, and players will need to keep one eye on the countdown timer and the other on zombie-killing in this mode, as too long without a zombie takedown will lead to them exploding. This specific mode does not yet have a launch date. There you have it – everything there is to know about the upcoming Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War, which will be free on all platforms. • When is anti-cheat coming to Warzone? – Dexerto

When is anti-cheat coming to Warzone? Treyarch/ActivisionAfter an endless outcry from the community, Call of Duty: Warzone is finally getting its very own anti-cheat, but when are the devs planning on releasing the new system? Cheaters are always a problem for any multiplayer FPS title, but it has become particularly rampant in Warzone. With countless players abusing third-party software to gain an advantage over their opponents, it’s rare to not encounter a hacker in every other match. As a result, huge streamers and content creators have been leaving the title to play other BRs, including Apex Legends and Fortnite. They claim nothing is being done to fix the issue that has been getting worse and worse since the game’s release. Well, after months of waiting, Raven Software finally revealed that a brand new anti-cheat is being developed – but when is it going to arrive? How will Warzone’s new anti-cheat work? At some point after the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard on November 5, 2021, Warzone will be receiving a brand new map and anti-cheat system. In a recent blog post, Raven Software revealed that they’re putting the system through its final paces and comprehensively testing it so it’s ready for the title’s integration with Vanguard. “Warzone’s Pacific map will launch with a brand-new, multifaceted anti-cheat system for PC,” they explained. “Raven is currently putting the system through its final paces and comprehensively testing it, so we are excited to have it ready on day one”. While we haven’t been given any specific details on how this new system works, it’s obvious the devs are confident that this will be the anti-cheat to put Warzone back in the right direction. What’s the release date for Warzone’s new anti-cheat? Although the release date of Vanguard has been confirmed, Raven is yet to reveal the date that the new title will be integrated into Warzone. However, they have confirmed that the major update is scheduled for “later this year”. Alongside the arrival of a new map, this will also mark the addition of the multifaceted anti-cheat system they’ve been developing. The question is, will it be enough to clamp down on the ever-growing amount of hackers in the Warzone player base? Only time will tell, but for now, it’s just a case of waiting for the official integration date. Don’t forget to check out our Call of Duty homepage for all the latest news, guides, and leaks.

When does Warzone Season 5 start? With Season 4 now behind us, the community’s attention has shifted to Season 5. Here’s everything we know about when it’ll launch, and what to expect when it does. Warzone’s Season 4 update launched on June 17 and introduced a range of new content for players to check out. From a series of mysterious red doors to the C58 assault rifle and of course, the MG 82 LMG. Despite all of the new additions, Warzone players are already asking questions about Season 5 and which direction Raven will take the game next. With rumors CoD Vanguard is set in the WW2 era, there’s speculation that the developers are working on a brand new map fit for the time period. Warzone Season 5 start date If there’s one thing that captures the attention of every Warzone player, it’s knowing when the next major update is scheduled to drop. Even if it’s only a day after a set of new content has been added, the community is already desperate to know what Raven has planned next. Well, looking at the Season 4 battle pass, it’s set to expire on August 9, 2021, which is roughly two months after the launch of Season 4. This matches Raven’s typical time span between updates so expect Season 5 to arrive in early to mid-August. What’s coming in Warzone Season 5? As there’s very little information available about Warzone’s Season 5 update, it’s difficult to know where the developers will take the game next. There are rumors that the Warzone developers are creating a WW2 map ready for the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard in November, However, as Season 5 is expected to drop in August, it’s likely any content related to the new title will be introduced in Season 6. For now, we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for any leaks and hope Raven drops some hints for the new season across Verdansk for players to discover. Rest assured, we’ll update this article with all the latest information on Season 5 as soon as it becomes available.

  • When does Warzone Rebirth Quads finish? End date & time – Dexerto

When does Warzone Rebirth Quads finish? End date & time ActivisionWarzone players have been begging for Rebirth Island Quads’ return, and they finally got their wish. Here is everything you need to know about the map’s end date and time. Warzone Season 5 introduced a map rotation system for the first four weeks. There is a daily map rotation from Monday through Thursday, and weekends focus on LTM additions. Caldera and Fortune’s Keep will always have Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads available to play. Rebirth Island is part of a weekday rotation and will not always be available to play daily. The map will only be available on random days and weekends. The decision to not include Rebirth Island aggravated the Warzone community, and they blasted the “dumb” update. The small-scaled map became insanely popular after the launch of Warzone Pacific, and players are demanding the developers stop removing it from playlist updates. Fortunately, Rebirth Island is back in the map rotation for a limited time. Here is everything you need to know about its long-awaited return to Warzone. When does Rebirth Islands Quads end Rebirth Island Resurgence Quads is live from September 9-11. On Monday, September 12, at around 1 p.m. EST, the game mode will no longer be available. Instead of regular quads, Rebirth Island will have Resurgence Quads. In Resurgence, there is no gulag. Players can immediately respawn into the game if one squad member is alive. Raven Software is also adding a Sticks and Stone mode to Caldera. Sticks and Stones is a classic CoD game mode featuring load-outs of a crossbow, ballistic knife, and a tomahawk or combat axe. The developers previously said they “will monitor sentiment” regarding playlist changes made. This could potentially be one of the last times we see Rebirth Island playable in Warzone, so make sure to log in and play while you can.

  • When does Warzone integrate with Black Ops 6? Season 1 details revealed – Dexerto

When does Warzone integrate with Black Ops 6? Season 1 details revealed ActivisionWith the release of Black Ops 6 comes another new era in Warzone. From Omnimovement to an arsenal of new weapons, there’s plenty on the way, and here’s when the games are set to integrate. Treyarch is back in the driver’s seat for this year’s new CoD installment. The hotly anticipated Black Ops 6 is just around the corner and players have already been getting an early taste thanks to the Beta period. But what does the arrival of Black Ops 6 mean for Warzone? On one hand, we know the immensely popular Battle Royale is set to receive a wide range of quality-of-life improvements. We also know there’s a brand-new map on the way as Area 99 joins the rotation. But when is this all coming into focus? Fear not, you’ve got a while yet to prepare for the Black Ops 6 and Warzone integration. When does Warzone integrate with Black Ops 6? While we don’t have an exact date for the integration just yet, we know for certain Warzone will crossover with Black Ops 6 upon the release of Season 1. Historically, the first seasonal update of any new CoD title arrives roughly a month after launch. With Black Ops 6 going live on October 25, this places the Season 1 update around late November. Below is a look at when recent CoD games have hit store shelves compared to when their Season 1 updates went live: Modern Warfare (2019): Game launched October 25 – Season 1 update on December 3 (39-day gap) – Black Ops Cold War (2020): Game launched November 13 – Season 1 update on December 16 (33-day gap) – Vanguard (2021): Game launched November 5 – Season 1 update on December 8 (33-day gap) – Modern Warfare 2 (2022): Game launched October 28 – Season 1 update on November 16 (19-day gap) – Modern Warfare 3 (2023): Game launched November 10 – Season 1 update on December 6 (26-day gap) – While Modern Warfare 2 bucked the trend somewhat with a quicker rush to its first season, don’t expect the same for Black Ops 6. The average gap amongst these titles is 30 days, AKA, a full month. Therefore, we can likely place the launch of Black Ops 6, and with it the big Warzone integration between November 22 and November 29. Of course, we’ll update you here once Activision’s plans are set in stone. When the integration does come into effect, players can drop in with all new weapons, dash around lobbies with Omnimovement, and plenty more.

PlayStation players will get to play Blackout before anyone else, starting on Monday, September 10 at 10am PDT (1pm EDT, 6pm BST). Blackout sees Activision attempt to cash in on the massively popular battle royale scene, with games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite Battle Royale dominating the gaming market over the past year. Whether Blackout can match up with the battle royale juggernauts remains to be seen, but fans will get their chance to decide starting September 10.

  • When does Modern Warfare 3 content go live in Warzone? Integration of guns, Operators, more – Dexerto

When does Modern Warfare 3 content go live in Warzone? Integration of guns, Operators, more ActivisionModern Warfare 3 is available to play with its campaign, multiplayer content, and zombies. However, one of the questions that fans have in mind is related to the introduction of Warzone and how will it integrate the various weapons and Operators. Warzone is one of the most vital game modes in Call of Duty. This game mode has a pretty high player base as it incorporates the whole battle royal aspect with the shooting and movement of Call of Duty. Therefore, the question arises of how will it happen in the case of Modern Warfare 3. There is nothing concrete available as of yet, but we have information that will give you some idea for the time being. Here is what we know about Warzone in Modern Warfare 3. When does Modern Warfare 3 integrate into Warzone? No official date for Modern Warfare 3’s integration into Warzone has been locked in just yet, but we do know for certain it’ll coincide with the launch of MW3 Season 1. As for when Season 1 kicks off, various sources claim that it will begin on Tuesday, December 6, 2023. This falls in line with the usual cadence of Season 1 launching roughly a month after a new CoD launch. Obviously, it’s worth taking this intel with a grain of salt for now. As we’re still a ways out, plans can always change behind the scenes as development continues. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted here as official details are locked in. What Modern Warfare 3 content will arrive in Warzone? As usual with a new CoD launch, we can expect every new weapon, Blueprint, and Operator from Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer slate to be accessible in Warzone upon integration. Though as outlined above, this integration isn’t expected until Season 1. This means for roughly the first month of the MW3 cycle, only MW2 weapons and Operators will be in Warzone. The latest rumors have suggested the big crossover will also mark the debut of a new Warzone map. So there will plenty to see and do when Season 1 gets underway later this year. • When does Iron Trials return in Warzone? – Dexerto

When does Iron Trials return in Warzone? ActivisionThe Iron Trials playlist is one of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific’s most popular. It gets rotated frequently, so here’s what we know about the next round of hardcore Warzone. As Iron Trials came into effect in Warzone’s Season 5 Reloaded patch, it arrived with little fanfare. Though as the weeks went by and players acclimated to health changes, a higher TTK, and a more competitive ruleset, it quickly became one of the most popular playlists. With everything from loot adjustments to different Gulag systems, Iron Trials grew to be a big hit among casual players and experienced pros alike. We even saw some high-stakes tournaments adopting the ruleset early into its time in Verdansk. Warzone Pacific has been in full effect for some time now and its appearances have been fleeting since the Season 1 patch. Iron Trials is currently live in Warzone Iron Trials made its triumphant return to Warzone Pacific with the April 13, 2022, weekly update. This instance, however, focused on Rebirth Island. Weeks later and Iron Trials returned in full with its Caldera debut in the Season 3 update. Players can currently drop into the Caldera version of Iron Trials throughout Warzone Season 3. As usual with Iron Trials, TTK is increased, the circle behaves differently, and ground loot has been replaced by exclusive weaponry. While new playlists have come and gone, Iron Trials hadn’t featured all too much during the Pacific era. That all changed in Seasons 2 & 3, however, as the hardcore mode came back into focus. Players have now had an opportunity to experience the mode not only on Rebirth, but on Caldera too. Obviously, the mode won’t be sticking around forever, as we’ve said, Raven likes to chop and change things around for variety’s sake. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as any further details on Iron Trials emerge.

  • When does Iron Trials ’84 end in Warzone? – Dexerto

When does Iron Trials ’84 end in Warzone? ActivisionWarzone Season 5 Reloaded brought tons of new content to the game, including weapon balancing, the Numbers Event, and a new mode, Iron Trials ‘84. This competitive mode has been one of the community’s favorite, but it isn’t expected to stick around forever. Iron Trials was added to Warzone midway through Season 5 Reloaded, giving a hardcore twist to the game’s traditional battle royale. The mode introduced higher player health, longer TTKs on weapons, fewer “annoying” items, and a whole lot of fun for the player base. While this competitive playlist for Warzone could be a great feature for a ranked system, it is just a limited-time mode and could be going away very soon. When does Warzone’s Iron Trials LTM end? Raven Software confirmed that the Iron Trials mode will only be available through September 30, 2021. So players can hop into games for another week of hardcore action. With a recent update, the LTM got a bit tougher as some things were adjusted to balance out the game. Iron Trials ’84 Duos will remain live through the 30th. As for customs… it’s not coming 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 is all we can say for now. 😉 — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) September 22, 2021 While the devs gave a specific date for when this mode is going away, they also revealed some exciting news to the community. They teased that Iron Trials will be coming to custom games in the future. Even though they only hinted at it being added to custom games, there is always a chance that this could become a permanent feature or be added back when it is released to customs. There have been a good amount of players begging for Iron Trials to stay as a permanent mode in Warzone. While there has been nothing from the devs that makes players believe this will come back as a permanent mode, the community is still hopeful. For now, players have until September 30, to enjoy the highly competitive game mode, when it is set to be taken out of the game.

  • When does CoD Mobile Season 2 start? Season 1 New Order end date – Dexerto

When does CoD Mobile Season 2 start? Season 1 New Order end date ActivisionCall of Duty Mobile’s reset back to Season 1 brought with it a ton of new content, though players are already looking ahead to what’s next. Here’s when we can expect the Season 2 update to arrive. CoD Mobile is now effectively through to its 14th seasonal update but with new content coming through each and every month, the devs decided it was time to refresh. We’re now back to Season 1 with the current New Order patch and Season 2 is set to follow close behind. 2020 set the pace with fresh content arriving each and every month. Assuming the handheld title continues this trend, Season 2 can’t be all too far off. From when we can expect the next major update to what additional maps, modes, and events it might bring, here’s everything we know. When does CoD Mobile Season 1 end? Season 1 of CoD Mobile officially kicked off on January 26. It introduced all-new modes, an original map in Reclaim, and of course, new weapons and characters to boot. Outside of the fresh content also came a brand new Battle Pass with tons of cosmetics up for grabs. It’s thanks to this Battle Pass that we know when Season 2 will arrive in CoD Mobile. At the very top of the Battle Pass tab, we have a countdown until all of the current seasonal content disappears forever. Season 1 launched with a 43-day timer, meaning that the New Order patch will come to an end on Wednesday, March 10. This is a noticeably longer stretch of time compared to recent seasons, however, the same rollover will still be in effect. The next season will be going live shortly after New Order comes to a close. As the devs recently confirmed, CoD Mobile Season 2 will be going live at some stage during the week starting March 13. New content in CoD Mobile Season 2 After early playtests featuring some fresh content, it’s now confirmed that Season 2 will feature two new battlegrounds. Up first is Modern Warfare’s Shoot House map, a close-quarters design from the 2019 release. Also on the way is a version of Shipment that was made available in the same Modern Warfare entry. This iteration of the map plays exactly the same as the 2007 original, just with a new visual flair. On top of the new maps, we’ve also got a few extra weapons to look forward to as well. The AS Val Assault Rifle will soon be accessible, along with the SP-R208 Sniper Rifle. No different from the incoming maps, both of these weapons come from 2019’s Modern Warfare as well. Beyond that, expect to see the usual batch of events to kick things off once Season 2 arrives. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as further information is locked in for the major update.

  • When does Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 1 start? – Dexerto

When does Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 1 start? Infinity Ward have unveiled the content coming to Modern Warfare with Season 1, but just when can players get their hands on the game’s major update? Modern Warfare has ushered in plenty of changes to the Call of Duty franchise. Specifically, the multiplayer experience has been reinvigorated with a season format. As part of the new multiplayer experience, players have been tackling the new progression system, which refreshes in-line with each new season. Moreover, Infinity Ward are bringing in a fresh batch of content with each season, completely free of charge. New content in Modern Warfare: Season 1 Modern Warfare’s first season pass will bring “the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history.” Long-time fans of the franchise will notice the remake of iconic maps from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Crash, Vacant and Shipment have all received a fresh lick of paint and look set to be integrated into the heart of multiplayer. Alongside these additions, fans will get a brand new Ground War map called ‘Port’ — the preview looks reminiscent of the fan-favorite map ‘Shipwreck’ from Black Ops 2. Two new Gunfight maps are making their way to the popular mode, while Infinity Ward teased at more to come. Three modes will be added, which will see the return of ‘Infected’ — a mode popularized from Modern Warfare 3. Reinforce will be making a return to the series. Being a hybrid between Domination and Search and Destroy, the game mode plays out like a more tactical version of Domination, since spawns are restricted. Gunfight OSP or ‘On-site Procurement’ will provide a slight tweak to Gunfight. In OSP, players will have to obtain weapons and equipment to better their chances in combat with an enemy. Starting out with fists, players will have to scramble to find the best weapon for the situation. On the topic of weapons, two new firearms are set to be added. The RAM-7 is a fully automatic assault rifle (AR), with a snubbed barrel for increased mobility. By contrast, the Holger-26 is of the heavier (LMG) class. Coming with an integrated sight rail and drum magazine, the rifle attempts to combine the magazine concept of the RPD with a traditional AR — which may prove ideal for Ground War interactions. Additional spec ops missions will also come as part of the huge overhaul. With all of this content combined, players have a lot to look forward to. When does Modern Warfare: Season 1 start? Having ditched the conventional DLC model, Infinity ward have promised all of the above content entirely free of charge. Moreover, Season 1 will hit every platform at the same time on December 3. Meaning that console exclusives have been scrapped and are a thing of the past. With the release of Season 1 around the corner, players will be hoping that the developers will also be shipping a patch for the numerous issues that have plagued the game’s opening month. Nonetheless, fans will be excited to get stuck into a ruck of new content as of December 3. However, some of the above content might be added in stages throughout Season 1, as suggested in Activision’s roadmap announcement. To top it all off, more premium content will become available once the battle pass goes live for purchase in the store. According to the announcement post, Activision look set to release more information on the 100 tiers of the battle pass after Season 1 goes live.

  • When do headshots matter in Black Ops 4? Headshot and High Caliber multiplier explained – Dexerto

When do headshots matter in Black Ops 4? Headshot and High Caliber multiplier explained Headshots have always been favored in first person shooters, since the early days of the genre, but how much do they really matter in Call of Duty’s latest title, Black Ops 4? Headshots are given as in game challenges, which will reward you with more weapon camos for the gun you get them with, with new camos every 25, 50, 100 headshots, and so on. But, in terms of practical gameplay, do headshots really give you the advantage in a gunfight? And is it worth consciously aiming for the head, or should you just ensure you hit as many shots as possible? Popular Call of Duty YouTuber ExclusiveAce has done the exhaustive legwork on these very questions, determining the true value of getting a headshot in Black Ops 4 multiplayer. There is also a slight complicating factor involved, as Black Ops 4 has a ‘High Caliber’ attachment (some even have a second level of High Caliber) which gives increased bullet damage to the head. ExclusiveAce first breaks down the headshot effective ranges and bullets to kill for weapons without the option for High Caliber, before moving to considerations of High Caliber weapons, comparing the difference. Most weapons do benefit from headshots even without High Caliber, but it is not always a game changing difference. But, XclusiveAce explains that High Caliber will give you a 1.75x multiplier to the head on certain weapons, and he recommends it highly on Assault Rifles like the VAPR. The Rampart on the other hand only receives a 1.3x headshot multiplier with High Caliber, however, you can use High Cal 2 on the Rampart, which will extend this 1.3x multiplier to the chest. How the bullet drop works in Call of Duty BlackoutYou can watch XclusiveAce’s full video explaining different headshot damage variables, both with and without High Caliber, below.

  • When can we expect a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 announcement? – Dexerto

When can we expect a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 announcement? Much has been made about upcoming Call of Duty 2019 title, expected to be Modern Warfare 4, but just when will Activision and Infinity Ward pull the trigger on announcing their next game? Call of Duty fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement about next year’s title – which is reportedly set to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The Modern Warfare part of the CoD franchise is extremely popular, dating back to the release of the original Modern Warfare title in 2007. The upcoming game has been kept tightly under wraps despite leaks pointing towards everything from the return of a single-player campaign mode, to a potential battle royale mode, and even having Modern Warfare 2 remastered attached. When will Infinity Ward reveal Modern Warfare 4? While the hugely successful franchise does switch between developers each year, the recent announcements about the upcoming titles and their respective release dates have all fallen close to each other in recent years – usually coming sometime between the beginning of April and the end of May. The current game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for example, was announced on March 8 and first revealed to fans on May 17. A year earlier, Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty WW2 was announced on April 21. When has Infinity Ward revealed other Call of Duty games? Infinity Ward’s last iteration of the franchise, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, was revealed through a teaser on April 30th. Their last game before that, Call of Duty Ghosts, was not revealed until May 21. So, fans could be looking at anywhere from the closing portion of April to the end of May, if Infinity Ward sticks to a similar announcement period as they have in the past. While there is still no official announcement date planned for Modern Warfare 4, we are now getting to that time of year where Activision and the developers begin giving fans a look at the future. The excruciating yearly waiting game is crawling ever so slightly to an end for another year. It won’t be long before we’re doing this all over again for Call of Duty’s 2020 title.

  • When are Leaderboards and Combat Record coming to Black Ops 4? – Dexerto

When are Leaderboards and Combat Record coming to Black Ops 4? There is growing impatience among Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players about the lack of certain features which were expected much earlier after the game’s launch, namely global leaderboards and ‘Combat Records’ – so when can we expect these features to finally be added? Back in 2010, the first ever entry into the Black Ops series came with the all new ‘combat record’ (giving in-depth player statistics) at launch, and it has featured, in one form or another, in every Call of Duty title since. So too have global leaderboards, but yet Black Ops 4 has neither of these features nearly six months after launch, and players are not happy about it. Fans on the official Black Ops 4 subreddit are pointing to a post made on the Call of Duty community blog on October 13, launch weekend for Black Ops 4, which stated that both leaderboards and combat record were coming “next week”. ‘Next week’ came and went, but leaderboards and combat record did not. With the lack of combat record, many players turned to third party stat tracking websites – but it appears Treyarch/Activision have made an effort to prevent these websites from gaining access to the API. This has made players even more incensed, and demands for answers over these ‘missing’ features have grown more vitriolic, with some fans suggesting it is killing off the once loyal player-base. When will Global Leaderboards be added to Black Ops 4? Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that everyone at Treyarch actually thinks they are coming at all. David Vonderhaar, studio design director and, for many, the face of the studio, was not aware of the October 13 blog post that said leaderboards and combat record were coming the ‘next week’. In a reply to a reddit thread, Vonderhaar asked that users “link me the post/article/place where Treyarch told us at launch that combat records and leaderboards are coming next week?” – stating he isn’t aware of everything the studio says. He also explained that global leaderboards are not planned, although plans can be subject to change. When will Combat Record be added to Black Ops 4? Since that initial October 13 blog post, there has been complete silence on ‘combat records’ from Treyarch. This is both surprising and disappointing, as it appears there are no plans to add a more in-depth combat record at all, with the basic stats such as playtime, EKIA/D and Win/Loss ratio all that is currently available. It’s also unclear why Treyarch have made this decision to leave out combat records (so far). It was their own brilliant idea in the original Black Ops, and was improved upon in both Black Ops 2 and Black Ops III. There are frequent posts, almost daily on the Black Ops 4 subreddit, all demanding that an update on combat records and leaderboards is given, but Treyarch is remaining tight lipped. 700When new information about Leaderboards and Combat Record is revealed, we will update this post.

  • When are duos and trios coming back to Warzone 2? – Dexerto

When are duos and trios coming back to Warzone 2? ActivisionDevelopers of Warzone 2 started rotating certain squad options out of the Battle Royale each week. This left many wondering when their favorite option is coming back to Warzone 2, be it solos, duos, or trios. The Battle Royale mode is the heart of Warzone 2 and its most popular game mode by far, the options to group up for it with friends range from solos, though duos and trios, to quad squads. Naturally, if you don’t have the friends to fill the slots a random player will team up with you. This is not ideal for most though, as it is much harder to communicate with strangers over the internet rather than your buddies. And lately, this has become a problem for some players, as the developers of Warzone 2 started rotating out the squad options for various game modes including the Battle Royale mode, with solos, duos, trios, or quads going missing every other week. With many players having real-life responsibilities planning sessions of gaming with your friends ahead becomes more common, this is impossible if you do not know what squad options will appear next week. So many are now wondering when solos, duos, trios, and quads coming back to Warzone 2. When are duos and trios coming back to Warzone 2? Activision and the developer studios working on Warzone 2 have not yet announced when duos and trios are coming back to the game, so there’s no expected return date for those squad options. Raven Software publishes what a given week’s squad options will be every Wednesday on their official Twitter. Duos and trios could come back in the next week’s rotation, but with the new rotation plan in place, nothing is guaranteed. • When are Attack Helicopters coming back to Warzone? – Dexerto

When are Attack Helicopters coming back to Warzone? ActivisionWith Attack Helicopters currently disabled to negate Warzone’s invisible player issues, when can we expect them to return to Rebirth Island and Verdansk? The merge of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has been a whirlwind for Call of Duty players. While adding new weapons to Warzone is hardly innovative, it is the first time we have seen such significant collaboration between CoD’s two main studios – Infinity Ward and Treyarch. However, with worlds colliding there were bound to be some issues and, unsurprisingly, they took the form of bugs and glitches sweeping across Warzone’s new Rebirth Island. Attack Helicopters were added to Warzone as a result of their inclusion in BOCW, but it quickly became clear that they were at the root of a serious bug. Players who had recently used an Attack Helicopter could render themselves invisible to enemy players. As literal as it sounds, this was handing players easy eliminations and victories. bro what in the f is this???????? pic.twitter.com/LHksWVCvjx — OpTic Holly (@HollyyLive) December 17, 2020 The severity of the bug resulted in dev studios scrambling to isolate a cause and a future fix. Raven were quick to confirm the steps they were taking, confirming on December 17 that Attack Helicopters have been completely removed from Warzone. “The vehicle will return once the related issues have been fixed,” they explained. “The normal helicopter will remain available. To clarify, this change is to combat the bug causing players to appear invisible to others.” To clarify, this change is to combat the bug causing players to appear invisible to others. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) December 17, 2020 The Attack Helicopter has been absent from Warzone matches since December 17. Neither Raven nor Infinity Ward have confirmed a return date but, given the severity of the issues we should be able to expect a quick fix. We can hope to see the Attack Helicopters return to Rebirth Island and Verdansk in the coming days, perhaps on Tuesday December 22 (or early on December 23 depending on your location). Tuesdays have become key days for Warzone updates, and would be exactly a week after the merger between BOCW and Warzone originally took place. We will keep you updated as soon as the developers confirm a return date. Until then, players will have to make to do with the normal helicopters.

  • When and how to purchase team passes for $250,000 CWL Vegas Open tournament – Dexerto

When and how to purchase team passes for $250,000 CWL Vegas Open tournament There’s not long left until team passes go on sale for the upcoming CWL Vegas tournament – the first major event of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 competitive season. Team passes for the event will go live on Friday, October 26 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST and can be purchased via the event’s page on the MLG website. Players who own a team pass gain 3-Day entry to the event, as well as guaranteed entry into the Open Bracket of the tournament. The button to purchase team passes is currently visible on the event page, but will not be enabled until the sale goes live on the 26th. Teams that are looking to purchase a pass will likely have to try to do so right as the sale goes live, since quantities are limited and usually run out quickly. In fact, several of the events during the previous WWII season had team passes sell out within minutes, and it’s very likely that the demand for passes for this event will be just as high, if not higher. While MLG eventually restocked on team passes and held additional sales, it’s not clear whether that will be the case this year, so players will need to be on their toes on Friday. The competition will feature some of the biggest names and organizations in competitive CoD vying for a larger share of the $250,000 prize pool. This will also be the first CWL tournament to be played using the new 5v5 competitive format.

  • What’s new in Warzone Season 1: Rebirth Island, new Gulags, modes, more – Dexerto

What’s new in Warzone Season 1: Rebirth Island, new Gulags, modes, more TreyarchWarzone Season One is here, and it’s brought with it a brand-new Black Ops Cold War battle royale map Rebirth Island, some hefty planned Gulag changes, a new ‘Resurgence’ game mode, and plenty more. Revenge, revolt, and revelations — those are the themes at play in the first Warzone season helmed by Treyarch in Black Ops Cold War. While the multiplayer side of the game will get a host of new maps — eight in total — and new guns, the battle royale is taking a sharp turn to a familiar island; that’s right, Warzone has finally landed a second, slightly smaller map. The season is based around Stitch’s plot for revenge against Adler. The CIA operative has been lured back to Rebirth Island, as his nemesis’ plans play out. On top of the new map, Warzone has also been handed all the guns added to Black Ops Cold War, as well as a new mode, three operators, and a Gulag overhaul — here’s everything we know about Warzone Season 1, which is live now, so far. New Warzone map: Rebirth Island The biggest new addition to Warzone in the first season of Black Ops Cold War is an entirely new battle royale map, “Rebirth Island,” the second for the series. The map is described as an “illicit Soviet base, shut down by the CIA in 1968.” The facility was then restored by Vikhor Kuzmin — who is all the Season 1 operator — in 1984, in an attempt to continue testing the Nova 6 gas. Treyarch has promised “intense, close-quarter action,” in a similar style to Warzone’s mini-BR mode from earlier this year. Rebirth Island will likely have Trios and Quads playlists. To celebrate the release of Warzone’s second map, Black Ops Cold War also added a number of challenges for first-time players. These include Calling Cards, Charms, Emblems, Stickers, a “Noxious” LMG blueprint, and more “secrets” too. Season 1 Gulag changes: Verdansk & Rebirth Island Warzone won’t just be seeing changes on the battlefield; the second-chance Gulag system will also be getting tweaked heading into Season 1. The biggest change is the addition of a new area — a Nuketown replica — to earn your freedom. The design is described as a “makeshift replica of the original Nuketown map layout,” with parked buses, backyard barricades, trucks, and homes. The last Operator standing — or the one that grabs the flag — gets a second chance in Verdansk. Season 1 has also added a totally new Gulag area, based on Rebirth Island. The second arena will be “deep below the surface” of the map, in a prison block. This area was where poor prisons were experimented on during the height of the Cold War. Prisoners start in one of two hallways, before being sent into the middle to fight for a second chance. There are metal detectors scattered around too. New Warzone game mode: Resurgence “Resurgence” is a new game mode added to Warzone. Hosted only on Rebirth Island, the playlist focuses on “respawning as a key to victory.” Squads will gear up as normal, hunt each other down, and “seek revenge” on the island. The rules are simple, listed here: The Gulag is closed. – After taking out an enemy, you’ll gain “extreme clarity” on where the rest of their allies are, and be able to see where they’re located on the map. – Once the “Rebirth Countdown” reaches zero, all living squads will have their dead teammates brought back into the Warzone fight. – Those who have ever played the Alcatraz map in Blackout – CoD’s first battle royale released in 2018 – will realize that this is a very similar mode, without any of the Zombies, of course. Three new Warzone operators Warzone’s first season in Black Ops Cold War adds three new operators, including the villainous Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin, who has a grudge with story hero Russell Adler. Stitch is the only operator who will be available at launch on December 16. The other two operators will be added as the Season 1 story progresses into 2021. Stitch — available from December 16 – Song (NATO) — to be released mid-season. – Vargas (Warsaw Pact) — to be released mid-season. – Treyarch also confirmed, from this point on, all Black Ops Cold War ops will be added to Warzone “once any necessary unlock challenges are completed.” Warzone Season 1 vehicle: Attack Helicopter Finally, Warzone players are now able to bring death from above on Verdansk and Rebirth Island, with the Attack Helicopter. This “airborne menace” is similar to the usual helicopter, but with a belt-fed minigun added on both sides. https://twitter.com/DexertoIntel/status/1337208812172939265 So there you have it — everything Treyarch has added in Season 1. More interested in the multiplayer side of things? Don’t worry, we’ve broken down everything being added on that side too. And finally, get caught up with Warzone’s story in a brand new trailer, which debuted during The Game Awards 2020. The new season is now available as part of the huge Black Ops Cold War update going live on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

  • What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 2: weapons, maps, Operators, Outbreak, more – Dexerto

What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 2: weapons, maps, Operators, Outbreak, more ActivisionCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is finally here, with Treyarch adding new weapons, multiplayer maps, Operators, and plenty more. Here’s everything you need to know about the February 25 update to get you up to speed. Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War and now-integrated Warzone has now been released on all platforms on Feb. 25, 2021 and fans are already sinking their teeth into. With a brand-new, massive Zombies expansion called Outbreak, developers have brought new guns, new operators, new maps and even new modes to the fold. While BOCW and Warzone Season 1 may have been the largest season update in recent history, this new drop is absolutely huge and comes with a variety of content. Black Ops Cold War Season 2 trailer Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Roadmap The roadmap for Season 2 is most certainly a full one, as the Warzone and Zombies content is accompanied by a huge amount of multiplayer additions as well. Mentioned from the outset of the roadmap are three new MP maps, a new scorestreak, two new modes, six new weapons (including some reactive camos), four new Operators, new Prestige levels and, of course, a new Battle Pass. Black Ops Cold War Season 2: What’s new in Multiplayer New Season 2 weapons With some joining the fray from launch week and some midseason, BOCW has been handed six new bloodthirsty weapons. First, the FARA 83 assault rifle (available now), which is full auto and possesses a fast firing rate. Then, the LC10 SMG (launch week), a full-auto sub that performs well at range given its recoil control. Similarly predisposed to close-quarters combat, the Machete (available midseason) and E-Tool (midseason) are both melee weapons — the former a widely known steel blade and the latter, a modified shovel. On the opposite end of the spectrum, players can also enjoy an R1 Shadowhunter crossbow (midseason), which is supposed to be lightweight and stealthy, or the ZRG20mm sniper (midseason), which has the best bullet velocity in its class, making it phenomenal at long ranges. Keeping the ‘lethality’ theme going, the new season also introduced a “Death Machine” scorestreak — a hefty minigun capable of shredding through foes and enemy scorestreaks alike. New Season 2 maps Four maps have dropped in BOCW in Season 2 too, and three of them are brand-new. Apocalypse (available at launch) is a 6v6 jungle cartel base on the small-to-medium side, built for spicy encounters. Golova (available midseason) is considered a multi-team map that suits a variety of playstyles in a traditional Russian village (albeit one that has been used for testing by Nikita Dragovich). For Gunfight and Face Off action, players can enjoy Mansion (midseason): a Havana, Cuba location that is chic, expensive and prepared for combat. And, lastly, developers have reworked the Miami map and set it during the day for Miami Strike (midseason), a smaller map suited to 6v6. New Season 2 modes Three new MP modes have also arrived in BOCW in Season 2 and the first is an absolute classic: Gun Game (available at launch). Back in CoD, the free-for-all Gun Game is returning to the fray. Also joining are Stockpile (midseason) and multi-team Hardpoint (also midseason). Stockpile is much like Modern Warfare’s Grind, essentially Kill Confirmed with a deposit site objective twist, while multi-team Hardpoint is exactly as it sounds: big maps, 10 teams of four and Hardpoints to fight over. New Season 2 Operators Four new Operators are set to make their debuts this season: Naga (Warsaw Pact), Maxis (NATO), Wolf (NATO) and Rivas (NATO). The lone Warsaw Pact member, Naga, is a former Laos warlord with a penchant for rage and vengeance. The NATO gang includes Samantha Maxis, of Zombies fame, as a playable Operator for the first time ever. It also includes Terrell Wolf, a sniper who hails from Louisiana’s chaotic bayous, and Karla Rivas, who grew up amidst cartel violence in Nicaragua. New Season 2 Prestiges Season 2 brings new multiplayer and Zombies level challenges as well as an expansion of the Prestige system. There are 20 season level challenges for MP and Zombies, each with their own rewards for completion. Additionally, the Prestige system has been extended to 11 — with a variety of rewards (including a Blueprint) for hitting your benchmarks. Black Ops Cold War Season 2: What’s new in Zombies In one of the most groundbreaking Zombies drops in recent memory, BOCW Season 2 has officially unveiled a new “Outbreak” Zombies mode, as well as a variety of new items and vehicles. Large-scale Outbreak mode Like The Walking Dead, but in Call of Duty — the new Outbreak mode is a large-scale, open-world Zombies experience where you can accomplish tasks and kill off zombies to your heart’s delight. For some added fun, you can also use the Sedan and Light Truck vehicles in Outbreak, brand-new whips for a brand-new mode. More details are sure to emerge about the mode in the coming week, but you can check out our Season 2 Outbreak mode info page for full details. New Zombies Season 2 items New season, new items. A Frenzied Guard Field Upgrade turns you into an upgradeable Cymbal Monkey, as all enemies turn to you and their attacks solely deal damage to armor. Then there’s an Ammo Mod, the Shatter Blast, which lives up to its name by adding explosiveness to your bullets. What’s new in Warzone Season 2 As for Warzone in Season 2, not only will the BOCW guns and operators be joining Verdansk — but a variety of changes are coming to the map as well. Developers have already confirmed that new points of interest will be added, including a cargo ship approaching the territory and some allusions to mysterious subterranean action. For more details, including about the new modes, check out our Warzone Season 2 page.

  • What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 1: maps, weapons, modes – Dexerto

What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 1: maps, weapons, modes ActivisionBlack Ops Cold War Season 1 is finally here, and Call of Duty players are bracing themselves. All of the new content was shown off at the Game Awards, and it’s an early Christmas present for all on December 16. Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is pushing a bunch of huge changes to the base game, Warzone, and more. Dropping on December 16, it’s going to be one hell of a Christmas present for Call of Duty players. If you thought a lot was coming, be prepared to have your expectations blown away. Eight new maps, five new weapons, six new game modes, and that’s only considering the base game. Here’s a rundown of everything that’s landed this week. Eight new maps There’s a whole bunch of new battlegrounds to test your mettle on coming in Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Even ignoring Warzone’s Rebirth Island, there’s eight new maps across a variety of game modes. With the release of Gunfight in Season 1, four fresh maps are making an entry purely for the gamemode: Game Show, ICBM, KGB, and U-Bahn. Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is filled with old favorites as well as entirely new content. There’s three 6v6 maps too, including some old favorites. Raid, a staple of the Black Ops titles, has made its way back. The Pines and Nuketown ‘84 Holiday have also been added, with the latter putting a festive spin — albeit a deadly one — on the popular map. Keen to jump into Fireteam? There’s a new map titled Sanatorium. Based in the Ural Plans, it centers around a “hotel” which players have to fight around, and for. Five new weapons No matter if you prefer SMGs, ARs, or shotguns, there’s a new weapon for you in Black Ops Cold War Season 1. The MAC 10 SMG features “moderate damage…and improved handling speeds,” and can be unlocked through the Season 1 battle pass. The same goes for the Groza assault rifle “with excellent handling speeds and solid damage.” The Streetsweeper boasts the fastest fire rate of any shotgun, and is “designed to clear out rooms of multiple foes.” There’s also two new melees in the chunky Sledgehammer and the more discreet Wakizashi. You can earn these weapons by completing a related challenge, or by purchasing a bundle with a blueprint from the weapon family when it drops in-game. Three new Operators There are three new Operators from two different factions that have arrived in the new update too. Stitch, the Russian Warsaw Pact member, is the headline act: fitting considering he’s just been installed back at Rebirth Island. Bulldozer and Zeyna are two NATO Operators that are coming later in Season 1 too. New game modes Six new game modes — both fun and serious — are coming in Black Ops Cold War. Top of the list for most would be the fan-favorite Prop Hunt game mode. A staple of previous titles, the party mode will be a hit over the holiday season. Gunfight is also making its entry into Black Ops Cold War. There are four new 2v2 maps for the gamemode, and it runs the same as the Modern Warfare version. Combined Arms: Hardpoint is going to double the amount of players in a match to 12v12, while Dropkick is going to be a fast, frantic game of suitcase football. Plus, if you’re more into Zombies, there two modes for you: Cranked and Jingle Hells. The latter is obviously Christmas-themed, while Cranked requires balance between mowing down enemies, and waiting too long for the next horde. Black Ops Cold War Season 1 drops on December 16.

  • What’s included in the Black Ops Cold War Beta: modes, bonus unlocks, more – Dexerto

What’s included in the Black Ops Cold War Beta: modes, bonus unlocks, more The Black Ops Cold War Beta is finally here. Download links are now live for those who pre-ordered the game digitally and Treyarch has released some new information about what the pre-release version is going to include. Here’s everything you need to know. [jwplayer QkvtNtzX] After Activision and Treyarch gave fans on PlayStation 4 a small glimpse of Black Ops Cold War during open Alpha, which ran only for one weekend and included a handful of content, the game’s Beta is now in full swing Prior to the Beta’s launch, Treyarch released a lot of information about what would be included, such as the brand new mode that will be available during this pre-release period. Cold War Beta modes The modes that Treyarch are including with the Open Beta are similar to those found in the Open Alpha. That being said, there are two major additions that players of the latter didn’t get a chance to experience yet. The first is VIP Escort, which tasks players with protecting and bringing a specially designated player from one side of the map to the other, without being killed. Players can be downed in this mode, similar to Warzone, and scorestreaks are disabled. In addition, players will also be able to play the new 40-player mode Fireteam: Dirty Bomb. Information about this mode is scarce, however, we do know that it will pit four teams of 10 players against one another in a fight for uranium on a large scale map. Team Deathmatch – Kill Confirmed – Domination – Combined Arms Domination – VIP Escort – Combined Arms Assault – Maps There were a total of five maps during the BOCW Alpha, so all of them are expected to also be available during the Beta. Furthermore, Treyarch have announced that a new one called Cartel will also be added to the mix for both 6v6 and 12v12 modes. New: Cartel (6v6 & 12v12) – Satellite (6v6) – Miami (6v6) – Moscow (6v6) – Armada (12v12) – Crossroads (12v12) – FOV Slider & Ping system For the first time ever, a Call of Duty game will feature a FOV slide on both PC and console, as announced by Treyarch. This will allow players to adjust their field of view in order to get a wider look at their surroundings at all times. “We’re extremely excited to bring the Field of View (FOV) slider feature to all platforms for the first time in a game, and you’ll be able to try it out during the Beta,” the devs wrote. That’s not the only thing making its CoD debut, at least as far as multiplayer is concerned. Black Ops Cold War will also see a Ping system added to MP for the first time, giving players a way to non-verbally communicate with each other. Users will be able to “ping objectives, loot, locations, and enemies” for teammates during a match, which had been the case in Warzone but never in a Call of Duty multiplayer. More details about how these two new additions will work can be found in our FOV Slider and Ping system guide here. SMG Blueprint Unlike the Alpha, players will be able to level up in a progression system that’s designed exclusively for this version. Treyarch explains: “Players can progress and rank up in the Beta-specific leveling system where loadout items, including new weaponry, covert spy tech through Field Upgrades, and badass Scorestreaks can be unlocked by earning XP.” Like every other CoD beta, there are rewards that you can earn for the full game. If players are able to reach level 10 at any point during the beta, they’ll receive a free Mutual Animosity Blueprint for the Type 821, which is the weapon most comparable to the Uzi in previous games. Schedule Treyarch previously announced the beta schedule, however, they once again clarified when everyone will be able to get their hands on it. Fans are currently able to pre-load the beta on PS4 and players on other platforms will be able to do so on October 13, 2020. Weekend 1 October 8-9: PS4 early access – October 10-12: PS4 Open Beta – – Weekend 2 October 15-16: PS4, Xbox One, PC early access – October 17-19: Open Beta for all platforms – – All in all, this seems like a pretty packed Beta. Between the new Fireteam mode and the grind for max level, players should have a lot to do over the next couple of weekends.

  • What’s coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare: XP promo, playlists, more – Dexerto

What’s coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare: XP promo, playlists, more Activision[jwplayer tIE8S9LW] It’s the final week before the launch of Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6, which means it’s time for the last Double XP promo weekend for S5. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming this week. The final week of Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 is finally here. While fans are eager to learn more information about the upcoming season, they’ll more than likely have to wait a couple more days before knowing exactly what new maps, modes, and weapons are coming. Until then, players still have all the content from Season 5 to hold them over. If you’ve been looking to level up your battle pass, jump into some modes, or get a fresh new look for your character before the season officially ends, now seems to be the perfect time to hop back into both Modern Warfare and Warzone. The big news is that another wave Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and even Double Battle Pass progression is coming, which means you’ll have help for that final push for Level 155 Tier 100 in the Battle Pass. All three boosts are set to go live on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT and will last until September 28, 2020, ending at that same time. Multiplayer On the Multiplayer side of things, Shipment 24/7 and Shoot House 24/7 will be activated this week. Previously, Shoot the Ship 24/7, which combined both maps into one playlist, was available but now it seems like Activision wanted to give players the option of going into either map. In addition, a Deathmatch Domination + Drop Zone playlist is also coming, as well as the 3v3 Snipers variant mode in Gunfight, in which every weapon is a sniper rifle or marksman rifle blueprint. Warzone Warzone players will be able to jump back into Mini Royale Trios for the first time in a while. This mode, which was introduced at the start of Season 5, provides an expedited battle royale experience, constricting a limited number of players to a very small circle. This means that matches will generally go by quicker and certainly be more intense than the regular playlists. This should be available alongside the regular BR Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads playlists, as well as whatever Plunder mode the devs decide to keep on. Finally, when it comes to the store, players will have a couple of new bundles to purchase. Easily the most notable one is that of the ‘Beyond the Pale’ bundle, which includes a new skin for the popular Ghost Operator, as well as two weapon variants, a new weapon charm, emblem, and more. It’s set to cost 2,000 COD points, which is equivalent to around $20. There’s also a new sniper rifle blueprint that’ll be coming as part of the ‘Notice Me: IV’ set, which also will include a weapon charm, calling card, and emblem. The playlist update in Modern Warfare and Warzone will most likely go live on Tuesday, September 22 at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, followed by the Double XP promo weekend.

  • What’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week: new playlists & more – Dexerto

What’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week: new playlists & more Activision[jwplayer RadxeDp1] Activision has revealed everything that’s coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone during the week of September 14. While it’s a slower week, there’s still a ton for players to get their hands on – here’s what you need to know. It’s the start of a brand new week and that means we’re about to get another playlist update for both Modern Warfare and Warzone. While the current season is slowly but surely winding down, players can still look forward to some new content to sink their teeth into. This week, fans can look forward to the return of some new modes in both standard Multiplayer and Warzone, as well as some brand new store bundles, including the return of Alex from the main story campaign. Modern Warfare multiplayer First and foremost, players will be able to jump into Gunfight Face-Off Moshpit. For those that don’t know, this playlist brings standard game modes to the smaller maps that were originally designed for Gunfight. There’s also going to be a mode added called Ground War Reinfected, which is essentially a large-scale version of the Infected game mode that players know and love. In addition, players will be able to purchase a new Alex: Death Stalker bundle from the in-game store. This includes an exclusive skin, two weapon blueprints, a watch, a weapon charm and more for the main Operator from Season 3. He’ll cost 1,800 COD points, which roughly translates to about $20. Also in the store is the Tracer Pack Anime Super bundle. This includes five exclusive weapon blueprints that fire pink tracer rounds, as well as a special weapon charm. The pack will cost 1,900 COD points. Warzone On the battle royale side of things, Infinity War are introducing a new mode called Buy Back Quads, in which redeploys will be granted based on the amount of cash you have. If you’re running low, you’re out for good, but if you still have some leftover, you’ll be able to redeploy no problem, but it’ll cost you. WARZONE PLAYLISTS Buy Back Quads – Battle Royale Solos – Battle Royale Duos – Battle Royale Trios – Battle Royale Quads – Blood Money Trios – Although Activision and Infinity Ward have not announced when this new content will be going live, Call of Duty playlist updates generally get released on Tuesdays, so expect these modes to be available on September 15, sometime around 1 – 2 PM ET. All in all, it’s a pretty slow week for the game, but that’s too be expected. With the Season 5 set to end in two weeks’ time, there won’t be much else for fans to look forward to until S6. At most, players can expect a double XP weekend just prior to the season’s end, but not much more than that.

  • What’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week: Free MP, new modes – Dexerto

What’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week: Free MP, new modes Infinity WardInfinity Ward have revealed what’s coming to both multiplayer and Warzone in Modern Warfare this week, in time for an extended free access multiplayer weekend, continuing until Wednesday, August 12. If you’re strictly a Warzone player and haven’t upgraded to the full Modern Warfare game, then you’re in luck, as multiplayer is staying free-to-play until 10am PT on August 12. The multiplayer modes are ideal for ranking up weapons and unlocking attachments to use in Warzone, and this is even easier with the ‘Shoot the Ship’ playlist coming back. Multiplayer IW have revealed that The Free Access Multiplayer playlist will become Shoot the Ship (a mix of modes on Shoothouse and Shipment) on August 11. These close quarters maps will ensure you don’t waste any time leveling up your weapons of choice. Additionally, the Bare Bones playlist will also be available. This classic MP mode takes away all the extras like killstreaks, perks and field upgrades, leaving just you and your weapon. You can also try out 3v3 Gunfight Blueprints, which will let you test out some of the blueprints available in the store, before adding them to your personal loadouts. If you’re more of a Hardcore player, there is Hardcore TDM and Kill Confirmed, as well as the option for 24/7 Shoot the Ship. Also coming this week is the ‘Executive Armorer’ bundle for Mace, which sees him donning a gold face mask and a legendary blueprint with gold tracer rounds. Warzone For Warzone, the fast and frenetic ‘Mini Royale’ is available this week. This version of Warzone cuts out pretty much all of the early game and drops you in the thick of it, replicating the final few circles of a regular match. There’s also Solos Stimulus/Buy Back (where you’ll respawn automatically as long as you have enough cash when you are eliminated), plus the regular Duos, Trios, Quads, and Plunder Quads. CoD Mobile Season 9 of CoD Mobile also starts this week, and there’s lots of new content there too. You can check out everything coming in the big Season 9 update here. This week also saw the start of teasers for Call of Duty 2020, which is yet to get an official name but is expected to be called Black Ops: Cold War. Easter Egg hunters solved the clues to uncover the date of the next teaser already.

  • What’s coming to Modern Warfare this week: New Warzone LTM & more – Dexerto

What’s coming to Modern Warfare this week: New Warzone LTM & more ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Modern Warfare devs have revealed the playlist changes coming to multiplayer and Warzone for the next week – with the battle royale getting a new limited-time mode. Ever since Modern Warfare launched back in October, and Warzone subsequently joined the party in March, Infinity Ward have been keeping the new content flowing – be that in the form of new cosmetics, new weapons, or even new maps. These regular updates have come when the devs usher in a new season, but they’ve kept players on their toes with weekly playlist updates too. The weekly playlist updates usually put the new multiplayer maps into the spotlight with a 24/7 rotation or add a new twist to the ever-changing landscape of Verdansk in the battle royale. So, here are the changes you’ll find in Warzone for the week beginning August 31. Modern Warfare & Warzone playlist changes – August 31 For anyone dropping into the normal multiplayer mode, you’ll be able to play Shoot the Ship – the 24/7 rotation of Shipment and Shoot House – as well as Ground War reinforce. On top of that, Search and Rescue will also be available to play. The Kill Confirmed meets Search and Destroy hybrid might sound like Cyber Attack but you won’t be able to run around and take enemies down with the explosives. As for Warzone, a limited-time mode called Kingslayer will be available to play – as will Blood Money Quads. Kingslayer is all about taking down the best players in the game, so keep an eye on your map. The usual battle royale modes – Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads – will also still be running in Warzone, so you don’t have to worry about playing something else. They will still be there and available. Read More: 10 most popular weapons in Warzone – There is no Double XP running throughout the week, but on September 7, there will be Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass Tier Progression all day long, so make sure you cash in.

  • What’s coming to Modern Warfare in major January 22 update – Dexerto

What’s coming to Modern Warfare in major January 22 update Infinity WardUPDATE: The massive v1.13 Modern Warfare update is now live and you can check out a breakdown of everything it contains in our official patch notes page. Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward have announced a major update coming to Modern Warfare on January 22, which will include the brand new Crossbow, five additional class slots, fixes for player collisions as well as slide-canceling, and more. It’s been a while since there was a major patch released for Modern Warfare since Season 1 first launched back in early December. While there have been a couple here and there, most of the updates have been playlist changes, shuffling around the modes and playlists available in multiplayer. However, Infinity Ward have confirmed that the next big update will be coming on January 22, set to include both new content, such as the Crossbow, and fixes for some of the urgent issues plaguing the game. https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1219668226361057281 When does the update go live? Infinity Ward haven’t confirmed exactly when this patch will hit live servers, but the usual time for when they release updates is 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Whenever it does go live, fans should expect the download size to be considerably large, so it could take a while for the update to download and install. What’s new? CROSSBOW The Crossbow will be the marquee piece of new content that this update will introduce in Modern Warfare, becoming the third new weapon to be added since the game’s release (Holger-26 and RAM-7) The Crossbow will, of course, be free to all players on all platforms, however, unlike those two other guns, players will be able to unlock it by completing an in-game challenge, rather than leveling up to a specific Battle Pass tier. Read More: MW devs address unbearable camo glitch – “Arriving on January 22, this super-sleek one-hit-kill weapon is available to earn and add to your Modern Warfare arsenal,” reads the announcement. “Visit the Marksman Rifles tab in the Loadout menu to find the Crossbow. You’ll have to complete a Marksman Rifle related challenge in order to earn this bad bolt of a weapon.” ADDITIONAL LOADOUT SLOTS This January 22 update will also add five additional loadout slots for players to use in multiplayer – something that had been highly requested from the fan-base since the start of the game. Since Modern Warfare does not offer the option to Prestige that almost every other CoD in the past featured, there still isn’t a way for players to increase the number of Loadouts they can use, so everyone’s been stuck on five since day one. Fixes for major issues While Modern Warfare still has more than its fair share of bugs, exploits, and glitches, all of them can’t be fixed at once, so Infinity Ward are looking to patch at least some of the major issues with this next update. One of those is player collision, also referred to as teammate body-blocking, which drastically increased following the December 18 update, instantly becoming a nuisance for a lot of players. While not confirmed, another one is the slide-cancel movement exploit, which allows players to skip the recovery state when sliding and come out of the slide being able to aim down sights right away. There are bound to be some more issues that get addressed with this update, so we’ll just have to wait for the patch notes to see exactly what’s been fixed.

What’s coming soon to Blackout? – Armor changes, map updates, weapon camos, and more HollowThe popular Blackout battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in store for some major changes coming soon. David Vonderhaar, Studio Design Lead at Treyarch, took to social media on November 27 to discuss some of the things that the studio was working on for Blackout. Vonderhaar and Treyarch have made it clear that Blackout is an ever-evolving project and that the version of the mode at game’s release is just a base for what’s to come. In his social media discussion, Vondy mentioned several things, including weapon camos, map updates, audio improvements, more levels, and changes to Armor. Weapon camos have been something that players have been asking for since Blackout was in its beta testing phase. According to Vondy, the development team is “WORKING ON IT RIGHT NOW,” so players can expect to see them sooner rather than later. As for audio fixes and improvements, he said that there is an action plan in place, but described audio as a complex aspect of the game and so it may take some time. “As much as I wish it was as simple as adjusting the mix, these kinds of problems have to be tackled from many angles,” he tweeted. The tweet below contains a thread in which he goes into details about the state of audio. Just put in motion the action plan to get after some audio improvements for Blackout. As much as I wish it was as simple as adjusting the mix, these kinds of problems have to be tackled from many angles. — Lord Vonderhaar (@DavidVonderhaar) November 28, 2018 In terms of increasing player echelon levels in Blackout, Vonderhaar said that there is a “full design waiting to go” but there is no schedule or timetable for releasing it yet. He alludes to there being longer lead-time for it because of the asset requirement, but that it will happen “eventually.” The current echelon level cap in Blackout is 80, which is called the Battle Hardened Echelon. As for map updates, Vonderhaar reveals that there are changes coming to the Blackout map, although he did not reveal any further details other than saying that he’s played it. In an individual post on Twitter, Treyarch has already announced that they are looking at making changes to the current map instead of making a brand new map. Last but not least, Armor. Arguably the most polarizing and talked-about thing in Blackout, Armor is once again in store for a change, although it’s something that has been alluded to before. According to Vondy, Treyarch are already in the process of creating a system which would allow players to repair their Armor using pieces of Armor from players they eliminate. There is no timetable for the release of this feature yet since there is a long and complex process before it can be considered game-ready.

  • What’s coming in next Modern Warfare & Warzone update: Maps, more – Dexerto

What’s coming in next Modern Warfare & Warzone update: Maps, more ActivisionModern Warfare’s Season 3 has brought a ton of content and with just over a month until Season 4, here’s what we can expect from Infinity Ward in their May 12 patch. Modern Warfare Season 3 shook up the meta once again on April 8, as they reintroduced Alex as a Warcome Operator along with a plethora of content — including some brand new multiplayer maps, weapons and playlists. Besides the controversial ordeal with Warzone’s Bounty Contracts, Infinity Ward added a dedicated Quads playlist into and re-introduced Trios as part of Season 3. But with half of the season still left to go, what else do the developers have up their sleeve? New Modern Warfare maps Players have been promised two additional multiplayer maps as part of the content that is dropping throughout Season 3 — both of which are yet to make their debut. Former MW3 multiplayer map, Hardhat, has been remastered and is set to make its grand entrance during a “mid-season update” according to one of Modern Warfare’s Design Directors, Joe Cecot. Tuesday, May 12 certainly looks like the most promising date to lineup with Cecot’s confirmation (given that we’re just over the mid-point of Season 3 now). Moreover, players can expect the anticipated ‘Aisle 9’ Gunfight map to join the map pool as part of the same update. New Operator? But where is Iskra? Iskra is the only Operator from the Season 3 roadmap not to make their first appearance in-game, that’s if you discount the oversight that saw her bundle temporarily appear in-store. So it is quite possible that players could be meeting Iskra sooner rather than later — perhaps even during this update. Modern Warfare & Warzone bug fixes As with every update, there will be some hotfixes to bugs in both Modern Warfare and Warzone. According to the developer’s Trello board, there are a few issues that are expected to be patched in an upcoming update (listed below). Multiplayer Fixed regiments causing error ‘13-71.’ – Fixed Season 3 emblems that are appearing with developer names. – Resolved character model eyes — weren’t “looking the way they should.” – Rectified Operator’s watch animation — wasn’t appearing correctly when gesturing. – Warzone Fixed corrupted white lighting that appeared while moving and firing a weapon near certain areas. – Fixed players being in a state where they couldn’t interact with the team’s Loadout Drop after being brought back into the match. – Removed ‘revive prompt’ that would appear on character models even though they were alive. – Along with the above content drops and bug fixes, there will likely be some changes to multiplayer playlists, along with some Double XP events where players will be able to earn Double XP, Double Weapon XP and Double Battle Pass tier progression. Infinity Ward are yet to release their official patch notes for what’s to come, so stay tuned as we bring you the latest and when they’re released.

  • What’s coming in Modern Warfare: new Gunfight mode, playlist update, more – Dexerto

What’s coming in Modern Warfare: new Gunfight mode, playlist update, more Infinity Ward has revealed more new Season 1 content that will be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare via the January 14 update, including a 3v3 Gunfight mode, the return of two multiplayer modes and another 2XP promo. Season 1 continues to roll on in Modern Warfare and with it so does the content, as Infinity Ward and Activision have announced what’s coming next in their 2019 Call of Duty installment. On January 13, Activision released the latest edition of their ‘This Week in Call of Duty’ blog post, in which they discussed what fans should expect in the next day’s update, along with some other CoD related news. The update will be going live on Tuesday, January 14, likely around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC right away. 3v3 Gunfight Gunfight Trios will make its in-game debut on January 14, turning the popular multiplayer mode into a 3v3 affair. This will be the fourth version of Gunfight – the classic 2v2 that’s been in the game since day one, the recently-added 1v1, and O.S.P., which players didn’t enjoy too much. Read More: IW respond to bizarre Finishing Move in MW – Although it hasn’t been yet confirmed, it’s likely that this new 3v3 variant will replace the 1v1 mode since IW wouldn’t want to spread the Gunfight player-base too thin by having three versions all available at the same time. Return of two MP modes – Cranked & Drop Zone Cranked and Drop Zone were two new modes introduced in the weeks following the launch of Season 1 in Modern Warfare. Now, both will be returned as available playlists in multiplayer via the upcoming update. Cranked is similar to Team Deathmatch but with a twist – after getting their first kill, players need to find and get more kills within a short period of time or else they’ll explode. Drop Zone, on the other hand, is objective-based and works similarly to Hardpoint in that teams earn points by controlling specially marked zones on the map. The big twist, however, is that Killstreaks can only be earned by controlling the drop zones for long enough to gain access to the Care Packages that fall into them from the sky, each containing either a lethal or support streak. More XP boost promos While not directly tied to this update, there will be another XP promo coming at the end of the week to take advantage of players being home from school and work on January 20 due to it being Martin Luther King Jr Day. Players will receive Double XP and Double Weapon XP from January 17-21, with the boost kicking in at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Friday.

  • CoD Mobile Season 7 update: Radioactive Agent, Tunisia map, BR changes – Dexerto

CoD Mobile Season 7 update: Radioactive Agent, Tunisia map, BR changes ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Mobile developers have revealed part of what is coming in their June updates – including a brand new map, exclusive to mobile players, and the return of Kill Confirmed. With the launch of Call of Duty Mobile coming back in October, Activision has taken some the fan-favorite maps, weapons, and modes from previous console titles and thrown them together into one pot. As a result, Call of Duty: Mobile has become a hugely popular mobile title – though it isn’t all because of nostalgia. The developers have given their game a unique battle royale map and kept everything fresh with regular updates and seasons as they’ve even dipped into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and plucked out the Gulag. CoD Mobile Radioactive Agent – battle royale map changes With June on the horizon, Activision has revealed what is coming in their next set of updates for CoD Mobile. The new season will be called Radioactive Agent, and will bring a host of changes to the game’s battle royale map. https://twitter.com/PlayCODMobile/status/1266882083265277954?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1266882083265277954&ref_url=httpsdotesports.comnewscall-of-duty-mobiles-season-7-is-called-radioactive-agent In their next update, the developers will be adding seven new locations in Black Market, Downtown, Frigid Wetlands, Harbor, Heat, Sanitarium, and Ski Town. These new northern spots aren’t just the only new things coming to the BR. There is also a fresh vehicle to use and new enemies to conquer. https://twitter.com/PlayCODMobile/status/1266761286697787397 Kill Confirmed returning in June Aside from the battle royale additions, the developers have also confirmed that Kill Confirmed will also be making its return in June after it was shuttered out of rotation. The popular game mode has, so far, only been used as a limited-time mode it will be returning alongside some other modes next month. However, the Rapid Fire game mode will be leaving CoD Mobile’s rotation come June 4. CoD Mobile new map ‘Tunisia’ They have also confirmed that a new map entitled Tunisia will be coming exclusively to CoD Mobile. A host of the content added finds its roots in old Call of Duty games, but Tunisia will only be coming to Mobile players. Obviously, these aren’t the only new additions coming in June as the developers have also confirmed that the HBR will be available for free next month. Whatever else they have up their sleeves still remains to be seen but it is already beginning to look like a pretty stacked update.

  • What will Washington DC’s CDL team be called? – Dexerto

What will Washington DC’s CDL team be called? Tonya McCahon For Activision Blizzard / ActivisionWith Chicago’s CDL spot reportedly moving to Washington DC and the OpTic brand headed for Dallas, the team will need a new name. Team names are crucial in sports. They establish an identity and give fans a brand to support. However, picking the right name is one of the most important steps in creating a new team. Choose the wrong one and your team gets memed relentlessly or perhaps worse, fails to make an impact at all. With Washington Esports Ventures rumored to be purchasing OpTic Chicago’s CDL spot, the team will likely be due for its third name in three years. Beginning as OpTic Los Angeles in 2020, the team rebranded as OpTic Chicago for 2021. DC has a history of strong team names; the Capitals, the Nationals, the Mystics, the Justice. Even the once-mocked Washington Football Team has endeared itself with fans. While Washington Esports Ventures have trademarked one possible name, there are several directions in which the team could go. Washington Demon Cats That’s right, in the build up to the announcement of Washington’s franchise, the name Demon Cats has emerged as a front runner. Users clocked that a Washington QNTM Twitter account followed just one other account – @DemonCats. Read More: 12 cities the CDL should expand to – After it was noticed by fans, they quickly undid the follow, but fans believe the cat is out the bag (literally). QNTM now looks to be an umbrella term used by the Washington Esports Ventures for all their organizations. Needless to say, the Demon Cats name was quickly mocked by fans, which is why the following names could yet surface. Team QNTM/QNTM United/Washington QNTM Washington Esports Ventures filed a trademark for ‘Team QNTM’ on September 17. That follows four other QNTM-related trademarks filed in April. Pros: It’s a striking name that establishes a brand that fans can rally around, with a simplicity that affords itself to easy branding potential. QNTM is also a good name for an esports team. Esports organizations are typically known for more abstract names, though the CDL and OWL have bucked this trend somewhat by adopting the naming formats of leagues like the NFL. QNTM, especially Team QNTM, fits within the context of esports. This also helps set the team apart from the more traditionally named teams in the CDL. Cons: The biggest issue is that the name has the potential to fall short. Washington QNTM feels like a hasty attempt to combine a branding idea with a geographical identity. This is exacerbated by the fact that unlike teams such as the Subliners and Royal Ravens, the name has no connection to Washington DC. Furthermore, the team may struggle to create a distinct identity. With new ownership in a new city and the iconic OpTic branding headed to Dallas, there is minimal motivation for fans of OpTic Chicago to keep supporting the team. While this allows Washington to forge its own identity and develop a new local fanbase, is QNTM the right branding to ensure the project’s success? Washington Founders/Washington Federals Washington DC is the home of the US government and is the seat of power for the nation. Previously suggested as a potential naming theme for the Washington Football Team of the NFL, it could be a route that Washington Esports Ventures also goes down. Pros: It’s a name that firmly establishes the team as Washington’s team. Up to this point, the team has had something to a corporate ring to it with the OpTic branding so prominent in the name. While they aren’t the only team to be named for/after their parent organization, Los Angeles Thieves (owned by 100 Thieves) just sounds more natural. However, moving away from that naming style might help the team settle into a long-term home. Read More: 2021 CDL Rostermania – Cons: The names are awkward and stuffy. While they tie into the city’s culture, it doesn’t sound like an exciting and modern esports team. While the city’s Overwatch League team, also owned by Washington Esports Ventures, is named in reference to the Supreme Court, Washington Justice just packs more of a punch than a direct reference to the city being linked to politics. Washington Brigade/Washington Revolution The team could adopt a name that invokes the spirit of George Washington, the city’s namesake. Prior to being the first President of the United States, Washington commanded the American revolutionaries fighting against British control. Pros: The name links itself to the city, and also lends itself to the game being played. Call of Duty is a game about war, why not have a military-themed name? Cons: Military language is hard to use effectively in a team name. Washington Brigade is a little awkward and is also a little weak in terms of the impact of a military-themed name. However, it is something of a ‘best of the worst’ scenario with names like ‘corps’, ‘platoon’, and ‘army’ fitting much worse. ‘Armada’ and ‘Fleet’ are solid if uninspiring choices but with the Surge and the Mutineers already existing teams, do we really need a third nautically-themed team name? Revolution is a stronger choice but still comes across as very generic. Additionally, names relating to ‘Revolution’ would be more contextually appropriate for a city such as Boston. Washington Warriors Another rejected proposal for the Washington Football Team, Warriors is vocally pleasing and ties into the Call of Duty-specific aspect of the franchise. Pros: Alliteration works well in team names and has been adopted by one CDL team, the Seattle Surge. Warriors is also a strong name for a combat-oriented game such as Call of Duty. It also uses militaristic language better than something like the Washington Brigade. Cons: It doesn’t link to the city especially well, remaining a relatively generic name. There is also the issue that the name has been tainted. Warriors was rejected by the Washington Football Team as it was seen as too much of a lateral move from the team’s former name, which is considered a slur to Native American individuals. Given that association, it may be best avoided. DC Half-Smokes The half-smoke is a staple of DC cuisine. It’s the larger, spicier, half-pork, half-beef cousin of the hot dog. Pros: This absolutely becomes DC’s team, tying the franchise to the city while also opening up the potential for some extremely creative branding. Additionally, unusual names are becoming more and more commonplace in sports. There are minor league baseball teams called the Trash Pandas and the Vibes. The CDL is already home to unusual names such as the Subliners so there is precedent for an outside-the-box decision. There is also an albeit tenuous link to video games, with ‘smoke’ being slang for killing someone. Cons: There is no getting around it: the team would named after a hot dog. A very good, unique hot dog but a hot dog nonetheless. It could also be seen as the team trying too hard to forge a link with their new home. Until the sale is confirmed, the future, and name, of the team currently known as OpTic Chicago will remain a mystery.

  • What will happen to Warzone with Modern Warfare 3? – Dexerto

What will happen to Warzone with Modern Warfare 3? ActivisionFollowing reports that the next Call of Duty title will be developed by Sledgehammer Games and titled Modern Warfare 3, many battle royale players have questioned what this means for the future of Warzone. Here’s what we already know. With both Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare 2 (2022), we saw huge changes in the Call of Duty battle royale landscape. MW2019 introduced us to Warzone, which became a global phenomenon and brought in players from all different games. Then, three years later, Modern Warfare 2 brought us what was dubbed Warzone 2.0, with a brand new map, engine & more, completely changing the game. While the newest Warzone effort has had a mixed reception from old and new players alike, it still has a huge player base that want to know everything that’s happening with it. So how exactly will Modern Warfare 3 impact the game? Modern Warfare 3 Warzone With both the last two Modern Warfare games bringing Warzone or Warzone 2.0, you would be forgiven for assuming that Modern Warfare 3 might bring about Warzone 3.0, or some other major change to the game. While that can’t be completely written off, with no real details of the upcoming title available yet, leaks have suggested that a new map will be arriving in the game, pointing towards it not being a whole new experience entirely but instead, just a new area for players to traverse. The leaked map is rumored to be Las Almas, the recognizable setting of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, though there are no further details beyond that that have been leaked. According to the original reports, Las Almas will arrive in Warzone 2 with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3. This is apparently slated for December 5, 2023. While details are scarce, it’s definitely an exciting time for Warzone and the wider Call of Duty community, with so much new gameplay on the horizon.

  • What will happen to Warzone? Warzone Caldera explained – Dexerto

What will happen to Warzone? Warzone Caldera explained Activision BlizzardIf you’re looking for “classic” Warzone, you’ll find it with Warzone Caldera. Here’s what’s happening when Warzone 2 launches. Warzone has dominated the battle royale scene since 2020, but it’s time for Warzone 2 to take the stage. Players can expect a huge new map in Al Mazrah to explore, complete with fresh POIs and classic Call of Duty maps. There are also new vehicles, as well as AI-patrolled Strongholds which will offer new ways to earn your custom loadout. If that all sounds like it muddies the waters of battle royale for you, though, there’s good news – Warzone 1 isn’t going anywhere just yet. Here’s what’ll happen to Warzone Caldera when Warzone 2 launches, as per Activision Blizzard’s blog post. Is Warzone 1 going away when Warzone 2 launches? Warzone Caldera explained Warzone 1 is sticking around when Warzone 2 launches, but it will be a little different. For one, it’ll be a rebranded version of Warzone known as Warzone Caldera. Warzone Caldera will still include player progression from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard, and purchased skins and earned weapons will persist in Warzone Caldera. Modern Warfare 2 (2022) progress will be tied only to Warzone 2. Activision has said that fans should “expect to access a standard Battle Royale Playlist”, suggesting Plunder mode is being removed, while XP tokens (including weapon XP tokens) won’t be able to be transferred to Warzone 2. Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep are being removed, too, but the blog says “for those fans of small Battle Royale maps, expect exciting developments in Warzone 2.0 during future seasons.” Warzone Caldera relaunch timings Warzone 1’s servers will go offline at around 8AM PT on November 16, and the game won’t return until around 10AM PT on November 28 — after Warzone 2 has launched. Warzone players will get some new items for Warzone 2, but the developers haven’t revealed what these are yet.

  • Will Verdansk still be in Warzone after CoD: Vanguard integration? – Dexerto

Will Verdansk still be in Warzone after CoD: Vanguard integration? ActivisionWith Call of Duty: Vanguard bringing players the next CoD experience on November 5, many are unsure of Warzone’s fate going forward. Here’s everything we know about the future of Warzone. Activision’s battle royale is still young, having only been released in March 2020, but players have settled into the game as if has existed for far longer. Considered a staple of the genre and much like its rivals in Fortnite and Apex Legends, Warzone has undergone numerous changes since the doors to Verdansk were first opened. Sledgehammer Games are ready to unleash Call of Duty: Vanguard on the world, which is set to change the Warzone landscape forever, but is it time to say goodbye to Verdansk for good? What will happen to Verdansk? Warzone players have been eager to see fresh scenery for months, with high hopes of traversing a completely new map. Events like The Destruction of Verdansk give CoD fans hope that Verdansk may finally be cast aside, but similarly to Fortnite, the developers changed the aesthetic design of the map to fit in with the wider lore. The developers have confirmed that a Pacific Theatre-based map will debut alongside the arrival of Vanguard, taking the direction of Warzone into World War 2 territory. It has been rumored that Verdansk will be removed from the battle royale entirely, focusing purely on post-Vanguard content. Though, we can’t say anything for sure. What is the new Warzone map? Details of the new Warzone map are shrouded in secrecy, but we do know that the map will take place in the Pacific Theatre, as per confirmation from the developers. The jungle-inspired location will do away with larger cityscape areas and should focus on traversing dangerous mountains and small towns, similar to that of Black Ops 4’s Blackout. We were treated to a brief look at the map in the Vanguard multiplayer reveal trailer, with the developers hoping to create a “fresh, new experience” for Warzone players. (Timestamp 25:39) Will Rebirth Island return? The developers haven’t offered any official word on the hugely popular Rebirth Island map, either. Recreating the infamous Alcatraz Island prison, Rebirth Island has lent itself to high-intensity skirmishes due to its smaller size and close quarters interiors. As the map offered an alternative to players in both Blackout and Warzone, is it likely that the developers will offer fans a similar experience down the line. What weapons will be available? Warzone currently allows players to use both the Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons concurrently, but the developers have confirmed that Vanguard weaponry will be dropping into the experience. Vanguard runs on an updated version of the Modern Warfare engine, which means any new implementations to your loadout should feel much smoother, than the initial drop of Black Ops Cold War weapons which were created on a different iteration of CoD’s engine. Call of Duty: Vanguard is just weeks away at the time of writing, so keep checking back in with us as new developments on the World War 2 theme arrive.

  • What we learned from week two of the CWL Pro League – ft. OpTic Gaming, Gen.G, and more – Dexerto

What we learned from week two of the CWL Pro League – ft. OpTic Gaming, Gen.G, and more Gen.G / OpTic GamingAnother week of incredible competitive action at the 2019 Call of Duty World League’s Pro League came to a close on February 14, with Division A wrapping up their second week of matches. The second week saw the eight Division teams play another 14 combined matches over the course of four days, with squads trying to climb as high as they could in the standings before their long break. The current standings see Gen.G, Midnight Esports, OpTic Gaming, and the ex-Red Reserve roster currently sitting in the four Playoff spots, while UYU, Luminosity, Team Reciprocity, and Evil Geniuses round off the bottom four positions. Of course the Division A teams still have a lot of matches to play in between themselves as well as Division B, but it’s never too early to try and forecast the directions that certain teams are headed. And with that, here are some of the major storylines we’ve picked up on from week two of the CWL Pro League. Gen.G may be the team to beat in Div A Sitting at 6-1 and atop the Division A standings, Gen.G have more than established themselves as a formidable Call of Duty powerhouse. Despite having the best record, the team does not have the best map win percentage, which goes to show that they aren’t always dominating opponents but are almost always finding ways to take the crucial maps and win series. While there is still a lot of the Pro League to be played, Gen.G look like the team to beat right now, and almost no one has been able to do so thus far. OpTic are not nearly the same without Dashy While 4-3 may not be the most ideal record for OpTic heading into the break, they’ll take comfort knowing that they survived the up-and-down two weeks with a positive record. Luminosity look like a top team again Things were looking dire for Luminosity after week one. The team was sitting at 0-3, second to last in the standings, and faced the daunting challenge of having to take on the top three teams in week two. Things seemed to get even worse after they lost to Gen.G in their first match of the second week, but since then, their turnaround has been nothing short of miraculous. LG won their last three matches to round off the week, including a statement 3-0 domination of Midnight and a stunning reverse sweep against OpTic, putting themselves right back into the mix. The race for 4th place could be a good one There are currently a combined four teams that have either a 4-3 or 3-4 record after two weeks of the Pro League – OpTic, ex-Red Reserve, UYU, and LG. While many are expecting Gen.G, Midnight, and OpTic to eventually pull away and seal the top three seeds, that still leaves what could end up being a tight and exciting race for the fourth and final Playoff spot. It’s also worth nothing that while Team Rec and EG are both a little off the pace at the bottom of the table, they too could fight their way into the conversation if they can string together some quality wins. Remember, you can keep updated on all scores, standings, schedules, and more, by visiting our dedicated CWL Pro League hub. Week three of the Pro League is scheduled to kick off on February 18 as Division B will begin its first set of matches. Fan favorites Heretics will face eUnited followed by the defending World Championship Team Envy roster taking on the new look 100 Thieves.

  • What we learned from week one of the CWL Pro League – ft. OpTic, Luminosity, and more – Dexerto

What we learned from week one of the CWL Pro League – ft. OpTic, Luminosity, and more Week one of the 2019 Call of Duty World League’s Pro League came to a close on February 7, wrapping up what was an intense week of competitive action. Over the course of four days, 14 total matches were played involving the eight Division A teams, and a lot was revealed about the nature of these squads going into week two. Of course the season is still yet very young and there are still several weeks of matches to be played before any final conclusions can be reached, but it’s never too early to start forecasting the directions that certain teams are headed. That being said, here are some of the major storylines we’ve picked up on from week one of the Pro League. Midnight are insane! When Midnight Esports shocked the competitive CoD scene by going 6-0 at the CWL Pro League Qualifiers, many were still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. Now, Midnight have more than proved that the PLQ was no fluke as they cruised to a stellar 4-0 record and currently sit atop Division A. Their 12-2 map record goes to show how one sided their matches have been, none more so than their 3-0 shellacking of OpTic Gaming on day one. OpTic have regained… and then some After OpTic Gaming suffered that 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Midnight, some were questioning how well the team could perform with substitute ZooMaa filling in for their absent star man Dashy. OpTic have pretty much put that debate to rest, ripping off three straight victories to finish the week with a 3-1 record, good for third in the division. After some in-game role adjustments, the team is back to motoring like a well oiled machine, and they’ll only get stronger once the CWL Vegas MVP makes his way back into the lineup. Luminosity are in shambles While there’s no doubting that Midnight are the biggest story of the Pro League so far, Luminosity Gaming’s incredible struggles have to be a close second. Despite being many fans’ pick as a surefire playoff team, LG’s failed to win any of their three week one matches, losing to Team Reciprocity, UYU, and Red Reserve by a combined 4-9 map count. While they still have plenty of time to turn things around, they’d better start doing so now, because three of their next four matches come against the top three teams in Division A. Remember, you can keep updated on all scores, standings, schedules, and more, by visiting our dedicated CWL Pro League hub. Week two is scheduled to kick off on February 11 with UYU facing Evil Geniuses and Luminosity battling Gen.G.

  • What to expect in “big” Modern Warfare update coming this week – Dexerto

What to expect in “big” Modern Warfare update coming this week Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward have teased a “big update” coming soon in Modern Warfare, presumably v1.09, and we’ve got everything there is to know about it so far. Modern Warfare players were left frustrated on November 19 when Infinity Ward released an update that didn’t meet the community’s expectations. However, the developers made it clear that it was just an impromptu hotfix patch and that “the big update” would be releasing later in the week. It’s believed that it will be labeled as v1.09, making it the seventh major update to be released since the game dropped on October 25. Ashton Williams, Senior Communications Manager at IW, teased just how massive the update was going to be in a November 20 tweet: “Finalizing notes for “the big update” you all keep asking about. Notes are a little over two pages long. Lots of good stuff in here.” https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1197242593785942016 When will the v1.09 go live in Modern Warfare? While the exact release date for this update hasn’t yet been announced, it will be coming at some point before the end of the week. The likeliest dates are either Thursday, November 21 or Friday, November 22, probably going out at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST / 6 PM BST. Considering how massive it’s expected to be, the file size will likely be equally as large, so players should be prepared to spend some time downloading it and letting it copy before they can play. What will the v1.09 update include? Seeing as how there are “a little over two pages” of patch notes for this update, it’s set to include a lot of changes and additions, some of which have already been confirmed by the developers. For one, the on-screen kill feed will be cleaned up so it will no longer notify players whenever teammates “avenged” or “saved” them. This will allow more important details like collaterals and kill chains to be displayed in a cleaner way. This update will also provide a fix for the devastating spectator glitch that’s currently running rampant, most notably in Search & Destroy matches. When players get eliminated, they are given a view of the map for a few seconds before the camera begins to spectate another teammate, allowing them to gain a lot of crucial information such as where enemies may be located or moving to. Another important fix included will be for the bug causing the Dead Silence Field Upgrade to run out instantly after being activated and used by players. https://twitter.com/__Macke__/status/1196906347712929792?s=20 That is pretty much all of the detail information that’s already been confirmed, but players should expect there to be a lot more included in this update, as hinted at by Ashton Williams on Twitter. https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1196913289151705088?s=20 We could see some more weapon balancing changes implemented, on top of the ones made in the November 19 update that nerfed the 725 and Model 680 while buffing the AUG SMG. There’s also the off-chance that Infinity Ward could add some more DLC content, such as a new map or two, although that’s something they probably would have announced beforehand.

  • What to Expect at Upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Community Gameplay Reveal Event – Dexerto

What to Expect at Upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Community Gameplay Reveal Event We are less than a week away from the first reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, but what can we realistically expect to be ‘revealed’. Since the game’s title and logo was officially unveiled back in March, Treyarch have been characteristically tight lipped about anything and everything Black Ops 4 related. There were some leaks that come out reporting things like no campaign, a battle royale mode and a multiplayer that resembled Overwatch, but Treyarch did make attempts to dispell these. They teased not only a pick 10 create-a-class system and perks (including suggestions that the game would be boots on the ground style combat), but the reveal event is what everyone is waiting for now. Due to the teasers being multiplayer focused (unless perks and create-a-class are being incorporated into campaign) then this would support the leak that there is no campaign, as this is usually teased before multiplayer. Moreover, lots of YouTubers and streamers have been invited to the event and the invitations confirmed that they would get ‘hands on’ with the game. Call of Duty also tweeted a trailer for the event, which includes advertising a ‘world gameplay reveal’. Priority intel incoming. Synchronize your watches. #BlackOps4 pic.twitter.com/eISk7HCCnj — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) May 10, 2018 So, we know at the very least we will be seeing some gameplay, and all signs point to it being multiplayer gameplay, which would be a first for so early in the promotional cycle. This will also of course reveal the time period of the game, which is still completely unknown. There have been suggestions that the game will feature time travel however, so this might not be concrete. We should also be discover which movement system is employed, advanced or ‘jetpacks’, or classic boots on the ground. The perk teaser certainly strongly hinted at the latter, but we won’t know for sure until the reveal. The teaser trailer only revealed the logo with the slogan ‘Forget what you know’ And if these personalities invited out can get their hands on the gameplay, we will also have the first images/videos, as they will presumably be permitted to record some of their gameplay. As for the Zombies, for which we had the first teaser image for yesterday, it may be mentioned next week, but in all likelihood its own will be at E3 in June. We may be in for some surprises too, such as an unveiling of a Battle Royale mode that is still not officially confirmed but that many speculate will feature. We can also expect a date for the beta that would most likely arrive in August, or perhaps announcements of bonuses for pre-ordering the game. This also could, possibly, include MW2 Remastered, which has gone fairly quiet after all the rumors earlier this year. Expectations are particularly high for this event and Treyarch will have have a lot of fans hopes for the continued success of the Call of Duty franchise weighing on their shoulders. The community reveal event will go live on Wednesday 17th May, at 10am PDT, 6pm BST, 1pm EST and 7pm CET.

  • What sniper scopes have glint in Warzone? Secret changes to sights in Season 4 – Dexerto

What sniper scopes have glint in Warzone? Secret changes to sights in Season 4 ActivisionHaving the right sniper setup for Warzone is key if you’re aiming to pick up a win, but some classes and scopes are much stronger than others thanks to their lack of glint. So, here’s what you need to know. Given that Verdansk is so big, Warzone players pretty much all use a sniper or a marksman rifle at some point to pick off an enemy who is just out of range of their assault rifle. That point is punctuated by the KAR having been the most popular for a few seasons now. Though, you can’t just post up in one spot and aim down sight, waiting for a foe to cross your path. Your position will be given away by the glint that your sniper scope gives off, if you’re using a scope that has a glint anyway. Since the start of Season 4, some players have suggested that the ‘no glint’ bug is back, but actually, it seems to have been caused by some secret changes to the attachments. Cold War sniper scopes with glint in Warzone As popular YouTuber JGOD points out, Cold War sights don’t have any description in-game to inform you as to whether or not they give off a glint. Some players will, of course, dig deeper to find out if their chosen sight has a glint, but many players won’t, and may just assume that they have the benefit of no glint. Well, according to JGOD, the only Cold War sights that do have a glint are ones that are 4x and above. Though, the 4x sights may only have a smaller glint than the rest. However, we’ve listed those with a glint below. LW3-Tundra default scope – Swiss K31 default scope – Ultrazoom Custom – Hangman RF – Vulture Custom Zoom – SUSAT Multizoom – Royal and Cross 4X – Modern Warfare Warzone snipers with glint As the YouTuber states, the Modern Warfare sniper scopes that display a glint in-game have a description alerting you to that. So, when you’re selecting a scope, you can actually see if it’s going to give away your position or not, whereas that’s not the case in Cold War. Can please get updated Descriptions for Cold War Optics @RavenSoftware as they are misleading since they omit that they actually have glint. Thank you. Kar98k Description vs Tundra Description (Both Have Glint) pic.twitter.com/CA355VoO7S— James – JGOD (@JGODYT) July 2, 2021 It remains to be seen if Raven Software will make the requested change so it’s easier to see what the attachment does, or if it’ll just be left for now. Either way, you can use the list above so you’re not in for any shocks when you head into Verdansk.

  • What OpTic Chicago need to do to become the CDL’s top team – Dexerto

What OpTic Chicago need to do to become the CDL’s top team CDL OpTic Chicago will always be among the top teams in the Call of Duty League, but in order to be the best of the best, there are some improvements they need to make in key areas of their game. It seems like no matter what, OpTic will always carry the biggest name and the most clout when it comes to Call of Duty teams and franchises. That said, while historically they’ve been among the most successful teams in CoD esports history, that’s not been the case since the scene turned to franchising and the CDL. That’s held true especially this season; while teams like Atlanta FaZe have remained consistently at the top, other sides like Toronto Ultra and New York Subliners have seemingly leapfrogged the Green Wall in terms of in-game superiority. After a difficult Stage 3 group play, Scump and co. did rediscover some of their groove when they went on that big Losers Bracket run at the Major, but for them to break into that highest tier again, they do need to make important adjustments. Expanding their map-set Since Stage 2, the only Hardpoint maps that OpTic have a positive record on against the top half of the league are Checkmate (3-1) and Garrison (2-0). They are a combined 0-6 in Apocalypse, Moscow, and Raid when playing those maps against the league’s best sides. Things look even direr in Control – they’re 1-1 on Checkmate while a very poor 1-4 on Raid, which totals to a 2-5 record against top teams in that mode. Needless to say, if the Green Wall is to emerge again as one of the CDL’s top-two teams, they’ll definitely have to expand the list of maps that they’re comfortable playing and can succeed on, or else they’ll constantly find themselves facing the likes of FaZe, NYSL, and Ultra on maps that they’re currently poor at. Rediscover their respawn form For most of the 2020 season and 2021 Stage 1, the identity that many fans associated with OpTic was that they were a dominant respawn team that had their shortcomings in S&D. Well, for pretty much all of Stages 2 and 3, there have been some major cracks in their respawn game as well, which has obviously played a big role in their struggles. For the boys in green to truly be great again, they’ll need to find that form and become the ‘free-flowing’ respawn team that they’ve historically been, so that whenever they are struggling in S&D, they can still rely on their ruthless, punishing dominance in HP & Control to carry them through matches. The good news is that LAN is returning for the Stage 4 Major, the first offline event in nearly a year and a half. Historically, OG has been superb on LAN, so the team and their fans will have high hopes as long as the adjustments discussed above are made.

  • What next for SlasheR? Possible CDL trades & landing spots – Dexerto

What next for SlasheR? Possible CDL trades & landing spots Twitter: LA ThievesOn Monday, April 5, LA Thieves announced that they would be benching Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and bringing Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan to the starting line-up for the CDL Stage 2 Major. It was a roster announcement that pretty much nobody saw coming. SlasheR has been one of the best ARs in recent years, a consummate winner that brings everyone around him up. Referred to as a ‘Michael Jordan mentality,’ SlasheR’s leadership style might lead to fallout, but he has a strong history of making teams work. Now, as arguably the face of the Thieves franchise, he’s been benched. So what happens next? Fight for his LA Thieves spot Realistically, this is the most likely scenario. SlasheR isn’t the type of player any team wants to give up unless there’s serious money involved. With him and Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda on the bench, LAT have a couple of stars ready to step in when needed. Read More: CDL 2021 Stage 2 Team of the Week & MVP – Ultimately, we wouldn’t be surprised to see SlasheR starting again by the end of the season. He’s the only true assault rifle player on that roster, and is one of the best at it too. Traded to another CDL team Of course, it’s possible we see SlasheR head to another team and try to help them find success. It’s clear the vibes have been off with the core trio of SlasheR, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams and Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly for some time, and a clean break could be just what they all need. Here are some of the possible landing spots should a blockbuster trade be made with another Call of Duty League team: London Royal Ravens: Despite improvements between Stage 1 and 2, there is still much more to be made in the London camp. Sean ‘Seany’ O’Connor is a good player, but if SlasheR is a viable replacement, they’d be silly to turn that down. The main issue here would be the value of London’s trade options. Realistically, they will have to put a lot of money on the table to buy SlasheR out. – LA Guerrillas: Adam ‘Assault’ Garcia has been arguably one of the weakest main ARs in the CDL this season. Could a move to his local rivals, reuniting with his Champs-winning teammate Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov, be on the cards? It’s something both parties could benefit from. – Florida Mutineers: The Mutineers have one of the strongest AR duos in the CDL, but as Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker and Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt discussed on Reverse Sweep, a trade with LAT could make sense. Trading for Joseph ‘Owakening’ Conley — perhaps with some cash entering LAT’s pockets too — could make sense, and would definitely give the Thieves good trade leverage. – Watch now: The BLOCKBUSTER TRADE To Save LA Thieves’ Season Of course, a trade seems unlikely at this stage. SlasheR’s stock isn’t as high as it once was, and a lot of teams have already made their desired trades. Not to mention the cost — whether it be traded players, fees or his contract — will be an incredible amount; one that other teams might not want to consider. Play in Challengers SlasheR in Challengers? We just don’t see it happening. If it does happen, it will definitely be a temporary measure, and we can’t imagine that environment being one that he will be willing to put up with. Retirement We know, this sounds even more ludicrous, but just last season the veteran AR said he would consider retirement if this season was online again. He himself has said in the past that he would consider retirement if CDL was played online this season. (via @INTELCallofDuty)pic.twitter.com/FWfKd1sggt — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 5, 2021 It feels like an unreal possibility, but it’s a possibility nonetheless. Could SlasheR just be waiting for the return of LAN events before making his comeback? Of course, there are a number of possibilities for SlasheR and LA Thieves going forward, but it will be interesting to see how each party reacts in the coming weeks, and how they look by the end of the season.

  • What next for Methodz? Possible CDL trades & landing spots – Dexerto

What next for Methodz? Possible CDL trades & landing spots ActivisionOn March 10, 2021, Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni announced that CDL franchise Toronto Ultra would be benching him heading into Stage 2. But what happens next for the AR? Here are all the options. Methodz has been a mainstay in Call of Duty for years now. Initially coming up in Black Ops 2, he had an exceptional resurgence during the World War II season, and since then has been a well-regarded assault rifle player that can fit with just about any team. Clearly, though, there were issues in the Ultra camp. With their 3-5 record to start the season, they’ve already made a change. To the surprise of many fans and fellow pros, the player on the chopping block was Methodz, who announced that he had been benched on March 10. This, despite leading Ultra in KD across all modes. Before it comes from anyone else, I’ve been benched by Ultra. Not really sure what to say or do, this is my best game since WW2 and obviously wasn’t expecting this. Appreciate the support in advance — OpTic Methodz (@Methodz) March 10, 2021 Zinni added in a follow-up tweet that he would be playing in the Challengers circuit with Decemate, Drazah and TMTwerk. He remains contracted to Toronto for the time being which prevents him playing for another CDL team. Regardless of the circumstances, Methodz would clearly prefer to play in the CDL with the very best. Here are some potential options he has going forward: Stick it out in Challengers Let’s get the obvious out of the way first: Methodz will be playing in Challengers, and at this very moment in time there’s no telling how long that will be for. He would no doubt be one of the best main ARs in the amateur tournaments, and with his history of success, can help elevate a number of teams. With that said, it seems unlikely that Methodz will be stuck outside of the Call of Duty League for long. Despite what I think, this is the situation I’m in and have decided to play Challengers w/ Decemate, Drazah, and TMTwerk. I’m confident I’ll be back where I belong in due time & I appreciate all of your guys’ support more than you know. — OpTic Methodz (@Methodz) March 11, 2021 Traded to another CDL team The likelihood is that Methodz gets traded to another CDL team, and he’s deserving of that too. There are a number of teams that could use assistance here, so let’s take a look at the options. London Royal Ravens London is the obvious choice. They’ve had some poor luck this season, with Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris unable to get to the US and Alex ‘Alexx’ Carpenter missing the Stage 1 Major for personal reasons. That said, they’ve completely failed to make the best of a bad situation, and the players’ performances are lackluster at best. Read More: CDL 2021 Power Rankings after Stage 1 Major – With Sean ‘Seany’ O’Connor as London’s main AR, Methodz would be a direct improvement. While Seany has become a fan-favorite in the UK, with plenty of clutch moments, he’s simply not the AR Methodz is. This move would allow London to move Seany into a more-suited flex role and replace Chris ‘Parasite’ Duarte, who was brought in as a temporary stand-in due to Zer0’s absence. With Zer0 due to return at some point down the line, the Ravens could then find themselves with more talented players than starting slots. Not a bad problem to have after such a poor start to the season. Seattle Surge Seattle is perhaps the only team that doesn’t need to upgrade their main AR, but it’s not impossible. During the Reverse Sweep CDL Preview Show, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt argued that Seattle should consider a blockbuster trade for Octane, and this could play perfectly into their hands. Methodz has history playing with both Loony and Gunless, and they’ve seen success together, so it’s clearly a mixture that can work. This would also work for Seattle if it frees up cap space and allows them to grab another Toronto asset — and Octane is definitely worth going for. This could end up a move that works for both parties, though depending on the traded players, may help Toronto significantly more than Seattle. Minnesota RØKKR Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi has been a tremendous main AR in recent years, but for some reason it’s just not working out right now. ROKKR are the worst Hardpoint team in the league and need to change something to start racking up wins. That’s not to say Accuracy is the problem, because he’s far from it. But, if the RØKKR did want to make a change and strike before it’s too late, Methodz’s availability could be something they consider. This is an unlikely one, but we wouldn’t say it’s impossible. Watch now: Pacman: “LA Thieves kinda suck!” | Reverse Sweep CDL Major 1 Review Does he have any other options? Realistically, there’s not a lot Methodz can do as of right now. While benched and under contract, he can’t exactly force a trade to another franchise, but he won’t want to risk his stock plummeting as a result of not playing. It’s very possible things don’t work out for Toronto Ultra and they add him back to the starting lineup. He is a strong player, and a proven winner, so his replacement will need to bring some serious prowess to the squad. He’s certainly a CDL-level player, but now he’ll be keeping an eye on other teams to see if his benching can get the ball rolling for possible trades.

  • What next for Huke after Dallas Empire? Possible trades & CDL landing spots – Dexerto

What next for Huke after Dallas Empire? Possible trades & CDL landing spots ActivisionIn one of the most surprising roster moves of the CDL season, Dallas Empire dropped Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland to the bench and replaced him with Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson. Huke has long been one of the most talented players in Call of Duty, and since joining Dallas Empire at the start of the 2020 season during Modern Warfare, he’s lived up to that. They became world champions at the end of Modern Warfare and, during Stage 1 of the current Cold War season, he looked absolutely formidable. While his performances didn’t completely drop off, Dallas throughout Stage 2 weren’t as strong as they were, and they made the decision to bench Huke. Now the question becomes, what happens with him? Let’s look at his options. To everyone sending hate to dallas and my teamates. Was a team decision, the org has done nothing but work with me. Got nothin but respect for everyone on the team. Just didnt work out and its time to move on to a new chapter. — Surge Huke (@Huke) April 27, 2021 Which teams could pick up Huke? Based on the above tweet, with Huke saying that “it’s time to move on to a new chapter,” it seems as though his benching isn’t exactly a temporary measure. So, with Huke potentially moving on from Dallas Empire, let’s take a look at where he could end up for the remainder of the season. Seattle Surge: Since the start of the season, Surge’s SMG duo of Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson and Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza have raised question marks. Neither are the out-and-out slayers teams such as Atlanta FaZe, Toronto Ultra or, of course, Dallas possess. With things heating up for Seattle and Champs qualification getting less and less likely, they need to make a decision. – LA Guerrillas: Dropping Reece ‘Vivid’ Drost definitely seemed a weird decision at the start of Stage 3, as their best-performing player statistically. With the addition of Martin ‘Cheen’ Chino, who had a Team of the Week-level debut, they seem to have potential, but adding another high-level SMG to the mix could only be a positive. Apathy is a great player but arguably their weakest, and replacing him with Huke could keep this team’s Champs dreams alive. – Paris Legion: While Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda is still new to this Paris side, we imagine they’ll be wishing the Huke situation had come a little earlier. Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall has been comfortable playing the flex role in the past, and having Huke running the SMG alongside Nicholas ‘Classic’ DiCostanzo could only help this team find more consistency in the league. – There are two other teams who have had glaring SMG issues this season: Florida Mutineers and London Royal Ravens. Simply put, we don’t see them bringing Huke in too soon. The Mutineers have just made changes, with Colt ‘Havok’ McLendon replacing Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry, while London have frankly made more roster changes than they’ve had hot dinners. With rumors circulating that Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris has been dropped by London, they may be looking to make room for another star player and Huke more than fills the role. Whether they would be willing to pay for him, or if he’d even want to go there and likely miss out on Champs, are different questions entirely. It seems unlikely. Of course, Huke could end up back on the Dallas starting line-up before long if their results don’t improve, but it’s looking bleak. At this point, you could make several great teams from benched players, and Huke would be the main attraction.

  • What next for Dashy after OpTic Texas split? – Dexerto

What next for Dashy after OpTic Texas split? Call of Duty LeagueOn Sunday, January 8, OpTic Texas announced that Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland had joined their CDL roster, replacing last season’s MVP runner-up Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell. But what are Dashy’s options for the remainder of the Call of Duty League season? Dashy is commonly looked at as one of the greatest raw talents in Call of Duty today. He was the star player for OpTic in the 2022 season and has frequently topped K/D charts throughout his career. Now, though, he finds himself on the outside looking in, with no team to play for and no clear path back into the CDL, barring the need to step in as a substitute for OpTic Texas. So what would be the best fit for him? Let’s look at some of the most and least likely options for his 2023 season. New CDL team? At the time of writing, it seems apparent that Dashy won’t be playing throughout Major 2, unless something wild happens and a team steps in with a big offer that OpTic can’t refuse. But which teams could be tempted to bring Dashy in, or may need to make changes at some point? First, we can rule out teams unlikely to want to pay his buyout, which will still be a considerable amount of money despite his benching. That means we shouldn’t expect to see him representing Vegas Legion, London Royal Ravens, or Florida Mutineers for the foreseeable. After that, we can rule out teams unlikely to make a change because of the talent on the squad they have, or because they already made changes. New York Subliners, Atlanta FaZe, Toronto Ultra, LA Guerrillas, and LA Thieves can be added to this list. That leaves us with three remaining teams, not including OpTic Texas: Seattle Surge, Boston Breach, and Minnesota Røkkr. Seattle Surge Seattle could very well fit into the mold of ‘teams unlikely to make a change’, especially given their second-place finish at Major 1, but if things go south, they may look to bring a top AR slayer in to compliment their star players, Sib and Pred. That said, the team is clearly on to something special, and they held on to Pred so as to Boston Breach Boston Breach played well in the M4 meta, but after it was taken out, their performances dropped off. Whether the M4 meta is the reason for that is unclear, but may become more apparent at Major 2. The issue is, if Boston do decide to bring in a new assault rifle player, they already have Ben ‘Beans’ McMellon waiting in the wings, one of the most exciting Challenger players of recent years. He’s under contract and they won’t have to pay to promote him. Minnesota Røkkr That leaves us with Minnesota Røkkr, who built a great squad in the offseason but failed to perform to expectations at Major 1. The issue is that Attach is a franchise player for them, while Cammy is one of the most talented players in the game when he’s on. How much of an upside would they see by bringing Dashy in to replace either of those two, especially at a cost? In short, right now it’s hard to see any other CDL team making the move to bring Dashy in, despite how great a player he is. Perhaps, after Major 2, things could start falling into place for him, but he will have to be patient and hope that teams either decide to dip into their wallets or don’t perform up to standards and want to make a change. What about Challengers? It’s almost unfathomable to imagine Dashy playing in Challengers, but for now, that might be his best option. While he can still play 8s with other pros, if he’s looking to continue learning the game properly, he could easily slot onto a top Challengers team and be one of the best in the pit, and many of the players there would jump at the chance to make him a teammate. It’s a long season, so it could be damaging to Dashy to sit out for too long, in case his stock starts falling and he ends up without a team or even any interest from CDL franchises. The final option would be exactly that, though: sitting it out. Wait and see if anything happens, and hedge his bets that sooner rather than later, a team makes a move for him. It’s a tough time for one of the shining stars of the CDL, and with many teams looking set with the rosters they have, it might not get much easier too soon.

What is Warzone’s Weapon Trade Stations on Rebirth Reinforced ActivisionWarzone Season 2 Reloaded is shaking up the fundamentals the battle royale fans are used to and has introduced the Weapon Trade Stations on Rebirth Reinforced. Here’s everything to know about the new mechanic. With the mid-season update slated for March 23, players will be able to get their hands on plenty of fresh content. Raven Software have dialed into refreshing the game and giving their player base new features. From another quality of life wave to a new Rebirth experience, they are checking off those boxes, but there’s an even bigger feature that could shake up the game. As part of the Rebirth Reinforced update, the map is getting the Weapon Trading System, which uses guns to buy items. Here’s how the system works and the rewards you can reap. Warzone Weapon Trading System explained Revealed in a March 21 blog post, the Weapon Trading System will be the game’s newest way to pay for items on Rebirth. Instead of using your cash, players will be able to convert weapons into a new form of currency, that can then be used to buy things. The higher the weapon rank, the more it’s worth. So Legendary weapons will be a lot more valuable than a common ground gun. With your converted earning, you can get “Cash, equipment, Armor Satchels, Self-Revive Kits, Killstreaks… or even a Specialist Token.” However, to unlock this system, players must complete the Community Challenge. This consists of the entire lobby getting kills, once that is done, people that participated will now be able to use this system. This new system could serve as a way to reward players for getting kills. After wiping a team, instead of wasting their weapons, you can loot them and deposit guns into the machine to buy, what could possibly be, game-changing items. This feature is currently only going to be available on Rebirth Reinforced, but don’t worry. People that tend to play more of the classic BR will be getting this feature at a later date.

  • What is Warzone’s Doomsday Station? Season 5 BR objective explained – Dexerto

What is Warzone’s Doomsday Station? Season 5 BR objective explained ActivisionWarzone Season 5 will be the final one of the Vanguard era and to send things off with a bang, Doomsday Stations will be shaking up Caldera in a major way. The final Vanguard-influenced season of Warzone is bringing a laundry list of changes to the battle royale experience. There will be new weapons, objectives, familiar faces, and even a Search and Destroy game mode that gets the community involved like never before. One of those new objectives is the Doomsday Station, which will not only influence each match but will also give out a permanent reward upon completion. What does the Doomsday Station do in Warzone? At its core, the Doomsday Station is an area-defense minigame similar to the Cash Extraction event on Fortune’s Keep. Once activated, a wave of AI enemies will converge on your position. This onslaught will contain both foot soldiers and helicopters, so the challenge level will surely be a doozy. This will have an oversized impact on each match in Season 5 due to its rotating nature. Instead of spawning at the same spot, there will be a handful of places where it can pop up, meaning wherever it goes will certainly be contested. How to use the Doomsday Station in Warzone To activate this event, players will need to gather $10,000 and head to whichever area on the map that the station has spawned for that particular round. There will be an objective marker on the map to show off precisely where that is, but keep in mind that the traffic will be high both in the area and in the surrounding POIs. New objective rewards The full list of rewards hasn’t been announced yet but we do know that players can look forward to “earning powerful items” and a permanent Watch cosmetic if they manage to survive the horde. That’s all we know for now! Check back after the arrival of Season 5 for an updated list of what you can earn for completing this task and how it will give you an edge over the competition!

What is Warzone Visions of Verdansk? Final event, Vanguard Pacific map, leaks ActivisionAs Warzone players await Vanguard integration, new leaks suggest there will be one last event, the Vision of Verdansk that will lead to the new Pacific map. A known Call of Duty leaker reported that the Vanguard integration would not be coming until Tuesday, December 7, nearly a month after its release. • What is Rage Serum Field Upgrade in Warzone Season 5? – Dexerto

What is Rage Serum Field Upgrade in Warzone Season 5? ActivisionOne of the most exciting additions in Warzone Season 5 is the new Rage Serum Field Upgrade. Here’s everything you need to know about this damage-boosting item. Warzone Season 5 is here and players can finally start getting to grips with the new weapons and map changes. However, one of the latest tools that is receiving a fair amount of attention is none other than the Rage Serum. Not only does this deadly Field Upgrade have the potential to shake up the game’s meta, but it could be a new favorite amongst players looking to increase their damage. So, if you’re wondering what the Rage Serum Field Upgrade does, then our handy guide has everything you need to know. What is Rage Serum? Rage Serum is a new Field Upgrade that’s been added to Warzone as part of the Season 5 update. Players that use this new tool will gain access to “superior melee damage, increased lunge distance, and enhanced stun power while fighting with melee weapons or fists.” Here’s a detailed breakdown of the specific stat boosts: Rage Serum lasts 40 seconds – Movement Speed increased by 8% – Damage w/ melee weapons or while armed increased by 50% – Lunge Distance increased to 3.2 meters, up from 1.4 meters while standing – Melee Stun Power increased by 50% – Players have louder presence – Despite the significant boost in damage, there are two major caveats to taking Rage Serum. These disadvantages are as follows: The Operator’s movements become audibly louder. – The Operator receives an added recoil penalty when stunned or flashed. – This means players will need to use Rage Serum carefully when going in for close-quarter kills. The official description from the Call of Duty blog page notes how “forces aligned with Raul Menendez appear to have discovered a new mineral at the core of Caldera.” When the mineral is combined with additional chemicals and distilled, it increases the volatility of all those who inject it. Quite whether the Rage Serum will be the go-to Field Upgrade in the Season 5 meta remains to be seen, but for now, it seems incredibly potent.

  • What is Warzone Area 99 map? – Dexerto

What is Warzone Area 99 map? ActivisionWithout much information, it’s hard to tell what Raven Software has up its sleeve for Warzone in Black Ops 6. In saying that, we finally learned the name of an upcoming map and got a date for more information. At CoD Next on Aug. 28, Treyarch plans to showcase live Call of Duty gameplay, reveal which maps will be included in the beta, and discuss new features in depth. In addition, the development team announced a gameplay trailer for the second Zombies map, Liberty Falls, and a deep dive into what fans can expect from the round-based environment. The event also features a preview on changes coming to Warzone Mobile. Lastly, CoD Next finally shares live Warzone gameplay, and Raven Software will reveal new features. The battle royale devs provided a quick glimpse of a new map ahead of the event. Warzone Area 99 leaks and reveal event Area 99 is a new Warzone map designed by Treyarch and will officially be revealed at CoD Next. CoD leaker HeyImAlaix claimed Rebirth Island will be replaced by Area 99 at the start of Black Ops 6. During Modern Warfare 3, Raven Software phased out Ashika Island, Vondel, and Fortunes Keep. This wouldn’t be the first time the development team removed Rebirth Island. The map was first introduced in 2020 but was removed permanently when Warzone 2 launched on November 16, 2022. After two years, Raven Software released a remastered version of the iconic map on April 3, 2024, as part of the Season 3 update. Removing it so quickly after finally adding it back will surely ruffle feathers, but it doesn’t go against precedent. The original Fortune’s Keep lasted only five months before it was entirely removed from the map pool. As for what other maps fans can expect at the launch of Black Ops 6, leaks suggest that Verdansk was delayed and pushed back because of development complications. We expect there to be more information about what to expect from Area 99 at CoD Next.

  • What is Warzone 2 Mini Royale? Season 1 Reloaded LTM explained – Dexerto

What is Warzone 2 Mini Royale? Season 1 Reloaded LTM explained ActivisionWarzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded brings the Mini Royale mode back for a limited time, but how does it work? We’ve got everything you need to know about the rules for each Warzone 2 Mini Royale match. Although Warzone 2 hasn’t been out in the wild for too long, developer Infinity Ward is already preparing the first major content drop as part of the mid-season update. Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded shakes things up with a weapon to learn in the Chimera Assault Rifle, as well as the return of the classic Shipment map. It also brings two extra modes to try out – the Rocket League-style Warzone Cup and the Mini Royale playlist. Fans of the original game will remember the condensed battle royale experience, but here’s how Warzone 2 Mini Royale will work when it arrives in Season 1 Reloaded. Warzone 2 Mini Royale explained Warzone 2 Mini Royale is essentially a smaller version of the battle royale gameplay that fans know and love. If the devs follow the same format as the original LTM, Mini Royale will halve the player count from 150 down to 75, making it a drastically smaller scale match than players are accustomed to. It will once again take place on the Al Mazrah map, but to ensure that matches are still action-packed despite the smaller lobby size, the gas will already have covered part of the map before players drop in. This also means there will be fewer circles to contend with, making each match less of a time commitment. Think of it like joining a Warzone 2 lobby halfway through a game, only everyone is starting from scratch. We’ve included a quick recap of the Warzone 2 Mini Royale rules below: The player count is 75 – down from 150. – Gas is already covering part of the map to force teams together. – Fewer circles before the match ends. – The fundamental act of dropping and looting up remains unchanged, but every team will be immediately forced into a tighter space, making this LTM a much more frantic experience than regular Warzone. If you’re looking for something a little more fast-paced before Resurgence makes its comeback, then Mini Royale could be the mode for you. It’s worth keeping in mind that Warzone 2 Mini Royale is a limited-time mode in Season 1 Reloaded, but there is no official date for when the playlist will be removed. So, be sure to make the most of it before it’s gone for good. May is Military Appreciation Month, and Activision and the Call of Duty Endowment teamed up to donate up to 1$ million dollars with the help of Warzone 2 players. Let’s jump right into how community members can help. When is Loot for Good? The Loot for Good charity extraction challenge in DMZ takes place from May 1-7. Activision will make a donation to the Call of Duty Endowment based on how much in-game money is looted during that time frame. How to participate in Loot for Good DMZ is an Escape from Tarkov-inspired extraction royale game mode within the Warzone 2 universe. For each DMZ match where you extract at least $30,000, Activision will allocate $1 to the Call of Duty Endowment up to $10/per player for a maximum of $1M. We will provide an update when Activision reveals how much money is earned.

Naturally, the aim of the game is to score this massive football in the other team’s goal. Additionally, players can pick up items called “Shock Sticks” that can either stall opponents’ ATVs or boost their own ATV to ram opponents out of the way. Warzone Cup matches will last up to five minutes. However, the first team to score five goals total will win. If players aren’t able to score five goals in five minutes, the team with the most goals at the time limit will win. • What is the Search and Seizure contract in Warzone 2? – Dexerto

What is the Search and Seizure contract in Warzone 2? ActivisionSeason 2 introduces Search and Seizure in Warzone 2 as a new contract on Ashika Island. Find out what it is, what it does, and how to complete it. Resurgence mode is back, as Season 2 added Ashika Island into Warzone 2’s map pool. The fan-favorite game mode plays much closer to multiplayer than a traditional battle royale, focusing on respawning in a small-scale environment. Fans fell in love with WZ1’s Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep for providing a refreshing change of pace. Despite a few bugs, fans also praised Ashika Island after spending a few days on the Japanese-inspired archipelago. However, Warzone 2 players blasted the developers for adding AI to Ashika Island with the new Search and Seizure contract. Here’s everything you need to know about the controversial new contract in Warzone 2. What is the Warzone 2 Search and Seizure contract? On February 22, Raven Software introduced Search and Seizure contracts exclusively to Ashika Island. “Search & Seizure Contracts task you with tracking down Shadow Company mercs that have commandeered vehicles across Ashika Island. Dispatch them and recover the keys. Drive the stolen vehicle to the designated drop-off location but be prepared to evade retaliatory airstrikes.” The developers clarified that AI combatants only spawn during the Search and Seizure contract and the upcoming Data Heist Public Event. Completing the contract is a multi-step process. Players need to track down the AI enemies, recover the key, and escape while airstrikes rain down on them as they drive to the drop-off location. If the vehicle is destroyed during extraction, you will fail the contract. For the Data Heist Event, awards include Killstreaks, XP, cash, and Advanced UAVs, but the developers did not specify rewards for the Search and Seizure contract. We will provide an update when we learn more about the contract and what it offers.

  • What is the Fly Buy public event in Warzone Season 1? – Dexerto

What is the Fly Buy public event in Warzone Season 1? ActivisionWith the major Season 1 update now live, Warzone has been refreshed once again, and included among the new batch of content is a chaotic feature. Here’s how the Fly Buy public event works. After months of anticipation, Warzone Season 1 is finally in full gear, with the new Urzikstan map taking over. Naturally, thousands of players are jumping right back into the grind. From new unlockable Loadouts to the Modern Warfare 3 movement mechanics you’ll need to master, there’s plenty to wrap your head around. Also adding some challenge to the mix is a range of new gameplay features. Chief among them is the latest public event, Fly Buy. So if you’re scratching your head wondering how it works, here’s the full rundown on Warzone’s newest public event. Warzone’s new Fly Buy public event explained: How does it work? Put simply, Warzone’s new Fly Buy public event sees drones swarm into Urzikstan and drop more Buy Stations into the map. As with most public events, it’s entirely random when these drones may appear, if at all. Not only that, but there’s no predicting the exact location in which they may hover over. Though if you do happen to be within range, you can shoot one of these drones down to give you and your squad a handy Buy Station on the fly. This can be particularly helpful in late-game scenarios as the circle shrinks. In total, expect to see “five or six drones” spread across the map during the Fly Buy public event. Just don’t expect any unique goodies in these portable buy stations. They sell everything you’ll find in the regular versions across the BR map. With the right approach, this public event could make or break your next Warzone win. Turning your luck around in the blink of an eye, a drone could be your lifesaver in a tough final circle, or it could be a great distraction as you close in on the last remaining squads. Either way, now you know how the Fly Buy public event works, use this knowledge to your advantage as Warzone Season 1 rolls on.

  • What is the DMZ progress wipe in Modern Warfare 2? – Dexerto

What is the DMZ progress wipe in Modern Warfare 2? ActivisionModern Warfare 2: Season 2 kicks off on February 15 with a progression wipe in its DMZ mode – and here, we’re going to explain exactly what that means. Call of Duty’s new extraction mode, DMZ, is set to wipe with Season 2 on February 15. Similar to Escape From Tarkov in its extraction identity, wipes are common amongst such games, but players online do not seem happy with the news. What does the DMZ progress wipe mean? When the next major update of Modern Warfare 2 drops, all of the players’ progression in its DMZ mode from Season 1 will be wiped. Everyone will have their faction rank, missions, and inventory reset to the beginning. Along with the reset, Season 2 will bring new missions for the game mode, a new Resurgence map for Warzone 2, and a new ranked mode for Modern Warfare 2. DMZ players split on reset for Season 2 Since news broke of the new season resetting players’ progress, many have spoken their opinions on Twitter. “Yea I don’t know why this is a thing, they should be building onto it and not resetting all my Tier 5 factions,” said Twitch streamer Marksman on Twitter. “Game doesn’t have any particular progression in terms of gear or skills etc so why? The most significant change you can achieve is extra prebuilt weapon slot” MALDOxMEMES questioned in his reply. “I won’t lie if I wasn’t a content creator this would make me stop playing DMZ. I don’t think a full wipe in a game that’s casual focused is a necessity,” another streamer stated. Setting an even playing field with the new season will allow many new players to jump in and experience the game mode for themselves. Although grinding out the faction missions once again will have to be done, the new season should bring new weapon blueprints and rewards for completing such missions. As one will already lose their keys and inventory when they die in-game, that grind will forever be part of the experience, wipe or not. The full list of changes has yet to be released for the next major update, but as Call of Duty said in its announcement, more will be revealed soon.

  • Black Ops 4: What is the best Zombies weapon to use in Blackout? – Dexerto

Black Ops 4: What is the best Zombies weapon to use in Blackout? Fans looking to score a Blackout victory may need to drop into the most dangerous areas to find the best loot – and that includes heading to the various Zombies areas of the map. Call of Duty expert and YouTuber ‘Drift0r’ has been breaking down the game and its updates, letting fans know what guns, equipment and perks are the best to use in different game modes. In a recent video he published on December 1, Drift0r breaks down the best Zombies guns – the Ray Gun, MP40, Galil and Zweihander – to use in the Blackout game mode – based on their damage, range and rarity. The YouTuber also takes a look at the Essex Model 07 and Bowie Knife weapons. Drift0r begins by breaking down the most iconic of the Zombies weapons – the Ray Gun. He notes that it deals 145 damage with one hit to anywhere but the head. A headshot, however, dealing 200+ damage – enough to kill any enemy who has given themselves a health boost with a trauma kit. However, like every weapon in Blackout, the damage is lowered to armoured enemies – but it will break armour in two to three hits. Drift0r adds that the ray gun is “surprisingly good to use, but only in extra close quarters combat” similar to how you would use a shotgun in a late game situation. The YouTuber then moves on to the rarest of the Zombies weapons – the MP40. The SMG deals 45 damage per shot but that increases to 49 with a headshot, making it a high damage dealer overall in Blackout. Drift0r notes that it is the rarest of all the guns as it can only be acquired via the box – in which he has only done three times. Compared to the MP40, the Galil only deals an average of 37 damage. This increases to 40 with a headshot, making it a very average weapon compared to the others in Blackout. Drift0r adds that you would be better off with an ICR than the Galil but the gun is a fun nostalgia trip for long-time Call of Duty fans. You can check out Drift0r’s full video below for a more in-depth look at some of the modes most difficult to acquire weapons:

With constant updates rolling out throughout the year, Activision’s successful BR title always pulls players back in for some shooter action. Not everybody will be aware if they’re operating at a level considered to be average, below average, or above average. However, that’s where the K/D ratio comes into play, as it can be a good way of tracking how you’re performing from game to game. What is K/D? The K/D system in Call of Duty is a ratio of your number of kills, compared to your number of deaths. The higher this number is, the better you’re playing. Average K/D in Warzone Using statistics from CharlieIntel, let’s run through the three different levels of K/D ratio to see where your abilities rank. Average Warzone’s average K/D ratio is around 1.00, meaning you’re picking up one kill for every death. Below Average To be considered below average in Warzone, your K/D would be below 0.75. Above average To be considered above average in Warzone, your K/D ratio would be above 1.5. How to check and track Warzone stats To check your Warzone K/D, follow these instructions: Navigate to ‘Barracks’. – Click on ‘Records’. – Select the stats you want to check. – Filter to ‘Friends’. – How to improve your Warzone K/D There are many tactics players can utilize in order to drive up their Kills to Death ratio, but in simple terms, you’re just going to need to hit more targets and kill more enemies. Let’s run through a few quick ways you can improve: Communicate with your squad – Buy loadouts as fast as possible – Pick the best Warzone landing spots – Use the best weapons and loadouts – Practice advanced mechanics – For more information on how to get high-kill games in Warzone, check out our guide!

The Arsenal Machine is one such new item that will offer some massive upgrades for Black Ops 6’s weapons, according to some early information. As revealed by the developers, players can upgrade their weapons further using this machine, a handy tool when you find yourself entering the later rounds of your run and require some extra firepower to survive the neverending Zombie hordes. Here is everything you need to know about the new Arsenal Machine in Black Ops 6 Zombies, including how it works. What is the Arsenal Machine in Black Ops 6 Zombies? The Arsenal Machine is a tool that allows players to modify their weapons in Black Ops 6 Zombies to boost damage via Ammo mods. As explained by the developers, “Ammo Mods grant the affected weapon a percentage chance of dealing a special effect upon a successful projectile impact. Only one Ammo Mod can be applied to the weapon at a time, though you can purchase a new Ammo Mod as necessary.” At launch, the following Ammo Mods will be available for players to unlock and use when playing Black Ops 6 Zombies. How to use the Arsenal Machine in BO6 Zombies Like Perk-A-Cola and the Pack-A-Punch, the Arsenal Machine will be located across each BO6 Zombies map. The first point of business when attempting to use the machine should be finding out where it is. However, it is still being determined if the Arsenal Machine will always spawn in the same location on maps or if it will be randomized. Players must find and use Salvage to operate the Arsenal Machine during their playthrough. Salvage is automatically picked up when taking down Zombies and appears in green across maps. Be sure to check back in with the article as we update it with all relevant information ahead of Black Ops 6’s launch on October 25, 2024.

  • What is Superstore Resurgence? Warzone’s fastest game mode explained – Dexerto

What is Superstore Resurgence? Warzone’s fastest game mode explained ActivisionSuperstore Resurgence is set to be the fastest game mode Warzone has seen in quite some time. Here’s how the lightning-quick playlist works. Alongside Warzone’s more traditional Battle Royale modes, devs often look to shake things up a bit with all kinds of limited-time offerings. With Season 5 now in focus, that trend is continuing as Superstore Resurgence joins the rotation. While a brand new game mode on the whole, its name may ring some bells for experienced Warzone players. From the return of the iconic POI to its integration with the Resurgence ruleset, there’s plenty to be excited about when this one goes live. Here’s the full rundown of how it all works. Superstore returning to Warzone in Season 5 More than four years on from its debut as part of the original Warzone map, Verdansk, the fan-favorite Superstore POI is finally making its way back to the CoD BR. Atlas Superstore is set to feature on the Urzikstan map in Season 5, launching on July 24. The beloved POI returns in all its glory, with its original layout intact, though with a handful of fresh changes to keep veterans on their toes. What is Superstore Resurgence in Warzone? With Superstore coming back into the fold in Season 5, what better way to celebrate than with an LTM focusing exclusively on the POI? Superstore Resurgence is exactly that, a limited-time playlist that drops players into Superstore and Superstore alone. The entire match plays out around this lone POI, ensuring you’re never more than a few seconds from your next gunfight. The mode drops 28 players into the tiny location and gives them just 10 minutes to wreak havoc. As the Resurgence rules are in effect, respawns are plentiful as you’re frequently able to drop back into the map and rack up more kills. As the battle takes place across just the one POI, high-tier loot is set to be scattered throughout, and of course, you can always purchase your own custom loadouts to really do some damage.

  • What is ‘snaking’ in Modern Warfare 2? Controversial CDL tactic explained – Dexerto

What is ‘snaking’ in Modern Warfare 2? Controversial CDL tactic explained ActivisionModern Warfare 2 players, especially those interested in Call of Duty League, may have encountered the term ‘snaking’. What does it mean, how is it done and why is it so controversial in the CDL? Call of Duty Pros employ a system called a gentlemen’s agreement, where some items and weapons allowed under the official CDL’s ruleset are not used in pro play for a variety of reasons. However, that’s more difficult to do when the controversial tactic is a movement trick. That’s where ‘snaking’ comes in. ‘Snaking’ in CoD explained Snaking is a movement tactic that is possible in Call of Duty games, especially those developed by Infinity Ward (hence why it has reemerged as a major topic in Modern Warfare 2). However, it is generally achievable in most CoD titles. It refers to players positioning themselves behind an object on a map and switching between prone and crouching positions very quickly. The player’s movement is thus comparable to a snake; where the tactic gets its name. This allows snaking players to peek above the object providing them cover, gaining intel on enemies. They are also able to spring up and fire rapidly using the intel they have acquired, as demonstrated in this ranked play clip from CDL pros Cellium and Skyz. Why is ‘snaking’ controversial in the CDL? You may be wondering why it’s an issue if it just refers to players using the game’s movement mechanics to their advantage. When pros are snaking – because of how quickly it is performed and the object obscuring the player – they are very difficult to hit. From their perspective though, it’s fairly easy to see over the cover and spring up suddenly. It’s therefore considered overpowered, with pros using the tactic at a huge advantage over opponents pushing their position. That’s why many feel it should be stopped in competitive CoD, due to it being an unbalanced mechanic. Is snaking allowed in MW2? Yes, snaking is allowed, but it won’t make you the most popular player in the world if you’re keen to use it in your ranked matches. We have seen developers make alterations to CoD games’ movement systems in an effort to weaken snaking, but it’s incredibly difficult to do so. For example, in Black Ops Cold War, a delay was implemented to slow the movement between standing and prone positions. It’s also up for discussion whether a game’s entire movement system should be tweaked based on an issue that is most hotly debated in the professional community, and not among casual players. Lesser-skilled players struggle to adjust their character’s position nearly quick enough to snake and it can take real practice to master. If you’re new to competitive CoD, you can expect the snaking debate to drag on into future events and titles.

  • What is shadow banning in Warzone? How to find out if you’ve been shadowbanned – Dexerto

What is shadow banning in Warzone? How to find out if you’ve been shadowbanned ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone has been plagued by hackers and cheaters since its release, however they’ve implemented the ‘shadow ban’ system to solve this issue. Despite Raven’s best efforts, Call of Duty’s online battle royale, Warzone, continues to be overrun by hackers and cheaters. With a series of hacks seeing mischievous players crashing people’s games (especially streamers), the devs need to do something soon. Enter shadow banning, the system that’s devised purely to stop rule breaking players in their tracks. Here’s everything you need to know about this type of punishment. Contents What does shadow banned mean in Warzone? If you’ve been hit with a shadow ban, Raven have decided that your account is associated with some form of illegitimate activity. Shadow bans are given to Warzone players who have been hacking or cheating. Their main purpose is to group all of the punished players in the one lobby so that they’re forced to play together instead of against unsuspecting others. As you can imagine, this is an absolute nightmare of a lobby to play in, so while you don’t want one of these bans on your own account, you can take some satisfaction from the fact that getting a shadow ban is hellish for cheaters. How to tell if you’ve been shadow banned While there’s no obvious way to tell if you’ve been shadow banned, here are a few of the things you should look out for if you’ve noticed some changes in your account. High ping: If your ping goes from normal to being in 100 range, then t0 0ver 300, this could imply there’s a ban on your account. – Long queue times: If you’re waiting a long time to get into a game, this is likely due to Activision having placed you in a ‘heavy’ shadow ban queue while they review your case. – How to fix a Warzone shadow ban Normally accidental bans are lifted after 7 to 14 days, but if you’re sick of getting thrown into the lion’s den you can dispute the matter with Activision using this link. So that’s everything you need to know about shadow bans in Call of Duty: Warzone. If you want to be on top of all the latest news, ensure that you’re following our dedicated CoD Twitter account!

  • What is Sabotage Contract in Warzone Season 3? – Dexerto

What is Sabotage Contract in Warzone Season 3? ActivisionContracts are a great way of raising some cash in CoD Warzone and the Season 3 update has bolstered the array of optional missions with the new Sabotage contract. Here’s what it entails and how you can complete it. Warzone and Vanguard Season 3 features a huge number of changes to their maps, metas, and more. Ground loot perks and an improved RICOCHET anti-cheat system are just some of the noteworthy changes coming to Warzone specifically. But another one that could make games of Call of Duty’s battle royale even more interesting is the addition of the new Sabotage contract. Everyone is familiar with Bounties, Most Wanted, and all the rest, but what does Sabotage want you to do to succeed? How to complete Sabotage contract in Call of Duty: Warzone According to the official patch notes for Warzone Season 3: “Players will be given a vehicle target somewhere on the map. Destruction of the target will be rewarded with an Armored Truck Deployment via plane. Be warned, this Armored Truck can just as easily become someone else’s…” So unlike most other contracts in Warzone, it appears as if this one won’t reward players with cash, instead, plucky combatants will earn an Armored Truck to protect them. To earn it, you’ll need to destroy a target of the game’s choosing. Warzone Pacific’s Caldera has already introduced a healthy amount of new contracts including Supply Drop, granting you some solid firepower, and Big Game Bounty — essentially a manhunt of the game’s top killer. There is a new Contract coming with Season 3: Sabotage Contract pic.twitter.com/dlU74RQfYE — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) April 26, 2022 As with all new changes, it will be interesting to see how much of an impact the new Sabotage contract has on games of battle royale. But do remember, as the patch notes said, but wary of doing all that work to get an Armored Truck, just for another player to steal it! • What is reverse boosting in Call of Duty & Warzone 2? – Dexerto

What is reverse boosting in Call of Duty & Warzone 2? ActivisionWith discussion over skill-based matchmaking only intensifying in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, we delve into ‘reverse boosting’. It’s a term you may have heard but struggle to understand. Here’s everything you need to know. What is reverse boosting? For Call of Duty’s battle royale fans, reverse boosting is pretty easy to explain. It’s essentially a way to try and combat skill-based matchmaking by tricking the game into thinking you’re worse than you actually are. Usually, this takes the form of players continually killing themselves in online matches. As a result, they worsen their stats like score per minute and kill-death ratio. This means the game’s matchmaking algorithm will place them into lobbies with worse players. The reverse boosters are then able to dominate low-skill opponents in a way they wouldn’t against enemies of similar skill levels. Reverse boosting in Warzone 2 and multiplayer The tactic works similarly in the CoD battle royale and annual installment. In Warzone 2, reverse boosters will typically join a game, allow themselves to get killed, do the same in the gulag and then move on to the next game. The more times you die without landing shots or getting kills, the lower your kill-to-death ratio and other stats will drop, which increases the likelihood that you run into players who are similarly struggling. The process is similar when it comes to Call of Duty’s traditional arena-style multiplayer. While the goal is still the same – lowering your KDR, score-per-minute, and any other metric the game judges you by – players typically have to work harder to make it happen. Generally, they do so by deliberately killing themselves over and over again, whether with a grenade, RPG or jumping off a tall building. Warzone 2 suffers from reverse boosting, but it’s hard to say to what degree. Is reverse boosting cheating? In theory, yes. But it’s more complex than that. Players who reverse boost are manipulating the game’s mechanics to get themselves easier lobbies. However, it’s generally tough for developers to come down hard on it. While a computer might be able to detect the influence of outside software, it largely takes human evaluation to determine if a person is intentionally abusing the rules, or if they’re just having a string of bad games. Finally, there’s actually limited evidence it works. Players will need to invest a lot of time to sabotage their stats and come up against poor players. Also, when they’re in the ‘easier’ lobbies and dominate them, the game’s SBMM will likely place them back into tough lobbies as a result. In short, we wouldn’t bother and, more importantly, players deemed to be reverse boosting will face bans from developers of all titles.

  • What is Reinforce? Tips for Modern Warfare’s newest game mode – Dexerto

What is Reinforce? Tips for Modern Warfare’s newest game mode Infinity WardInfinity Ward have confirmed that the Reinforce game mode will be arriving in Modern Warfare thanks to their weekly updates, but how do you actually play the newest Call of Duty game type? Here are some tips. Ever since the newest installment to the Modern Warfare series released back in October, the developers have been keeping the game fresh with new content in the form of different game modes, playlists, and missions in their weekly updates. In their February 17 blog post, the developers confirmed that they’ll be adding Reinforce as a multiplayer mode while also giving out a few more details about how the game type will work in Modern Warfare. So, let’s take a look at what you can expect. Anyone who has played CoD: Ghosts or Infinite Warfare will already be familiar with Reinforce. The mode combines the flag capture aspect of Domination with a similar lives system to both Search and Destroy and Cyber Attack. In order to win, you have to either completely dominate your opponents by capturing all three flags at once, have the most flags when the round timer ends, or eliminate all of your opponents in that round. Sounds easy enough? Well, as we’ve already mentioned, it’s similar to Cyber Attack in the fashion that you can respawn downed teammates by capturing a new flag so you can never be too comfortable in thinking you have the numbers advantage. Tips for Modern Warfare’s Reinforce game mode In Modern Warfare, the game mode will take place under the cover of darkness in a night vision mode. Now, this means that you’ll have to be on high alert at all times, as well as taking it slower than normal. Some great tips for winning in the night vision variant will involve you being a team player. Capture your home flag – be it A or C – and then break off in a pack rather than being a lone wolf. Sticking with at least one other teammate should mean that you’re able to trade kills or quickly catch the enemy off guard. This can easily give you an elimination win quicker than dominating all three flags. If you find yourself being in a sticky situation with the numbers against you, don’t try to be the hero. Capture a fresh flag and get some support. If you’re doing this, you should be using tactical grenades to create space so that teammates get a clean respawn rather being dropped right into the fight. Of course, everyone will have their different play styles in mind, but the keys to victory in a night vision game mode like Reinforce is all about teamwork. So, best of luck on the battlefield and hopefully you will be able to grab some wins when the time comes.

  • What is open bolt delay in Call of Duty: Warzone? – Dexerto

What is open bolt delay in Call of Duty: Warzone? ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone has incorporated a number of weapon mechanics that previous iterations of the series have not included, with one being open bolt delay. But what is it, and how does it affect weapons in CoD’s battle royale? With the May 7 Warzone patch notes came news of the PPSh-41’s buff in Verdansk ’84. Its first buff was easy to understand – a maximum damage range increase of 4%. However, its second left many players scratching their heads – Open Bolt Delay decreased by 80%. Raven’s reasoning was to diversify the viable SMGs in Warzone and give each its own unique specialty. But what is open bolt delay in Warzone, how does it affect guns, and why does decreasing it constitute a weapon buff? What is open bolt delay in Warzone? Essentially, open bolt delay in Warzone seeks to mirror a real life weapon mechanic. According to Gun Wiki, open bolt “refers to the action of the weapon being held to the rear of the weapon when it is ready to fire. When the trigger is pulled on an open bolt firearm, the bolt and action slam forward which feeds a round into the magazine.” The time between the trigger being pulled and the bolt and action slamming forward is the open bolt delay. In Warzone, then, it presents itself as a slight delay between players pulling the trigger and the first bullet being fired. Naturally, CoD developers have grown to use it as a weapon balancing factor. For example, in Modern Warfare, the Uzi SMG – a real life open bolt weapon – was hindered by its open bolt delay. This is the same case with the PPSh-41. A decrease to its open bolt delay means the first bullet will fire faster, consistent with Raven’s aim to make it a more viable close-range weapon. If this proves to be too powerful, Raven could well increase its open bolt delay in the future. The weapons affected by open bolt delay are the weapons that are designed with open bolts in real life. As such, the MAC 10, PPSh-41, Uzi and M60 all experience some kind of open bolt delay in-game. While the guns affected are representative of their real-life versions, Raven’s use of open bolt delay as a balancing factor means that they are likely not wholly accurate. Regardless, the PPSh will now respond quicker to players pulling the trigger, so drop in with our best loadout and give it a chance.

  • What is Loudness Equalization in Modern Warfare 2? Controversial CDL audio setting explained – Dexerto

What is Loudness Equalization in Modern Warfare 2? Controversial CDL audio setting explained ActivisionCall of Duty’s ‘Loudness Equalization’ setting in Modern Warfare 2 has created quite a buzz, especially within the COD League. But what is it, how does it work and why is it controversial? The dynamics of Modern Warfare 2 gameplay is constantly evolving, with everything from snaking to perk packages making a grand entrance. These new mechanics, along with alterations to some old ones, have certainly managed to capture the attention of players around the globe. Recently, however, it’s the ‘Loudness Equalization’ feature that’s been under the spotlight. While some gamers have embraced it, others question its implementation, leading to tense debates. But what exactly is this sound equalization MW2 feature, how does it function, and what’s the reason behind all the controversy? Modern Warfare 2 Loudness Equalization explained Loudness Equalization is a PC audio setting that players can enable in Modern Warfare 2. It is not an option for console players, so Xbox and PlayStation users cannot make the most of it. When default audio is equipped, enemy footsteps and direction are naturally obscured by other sounds and some degree of subjectivity. However, when Loudness Equalization is equipped, it balances audio direction and enemy noise. It makes opponent footstep audio much clearer and easier to pinpoint, so players can pre-aim and anticipate enemies as they approach. How to turn Loudness Equalization on in MW2 To enable the audio setting, it’s incredibly simple. As previously mentioned, it can’t be done on console. For PC players though, just follow the steps outlined below: Right-click the speaker icon on your taskbar and go to “Sounds”. – In the “Playback” tab find the device with a green tick mark (Your default device). – Right-click that device and go to “Properties”. – Select the “Enhancements” tab. – Make sure the “Loudness Equalization” setting is turned on. – Click “OK” to confirm the settings. – Head into a game with the enhanced audio. – To turn this setting back off simply follow the steps and deselect the “Loudness Equalization”. – Why is it controversial? Loudness Equalization in the CDL If it’s a legitimate way to reconfigure your audio, then why is it controversial? The answer is essentially because it is considered overpowered, making it incredibly easy to hear and anticipate enemy positions and movements. Casual players can use it to their heart’s desire but, in the Call of Duty League, it’s not that simple. At LAN events, players use uniform PCs with pre-determined and consistent settings equipped. However, the same can’t be said when it comes to online matches – like CDL Qualifiers. Here, there’s no way to ensure players are not using the beneficial audio setting and it is technically allowed as an optional audio setting. We’ve already seen OpTic Texas’ Scump and Shotzzy criticize the “scumbags” using it – and other pros like Scrappy have blasted pros that knowingly use it. Only time will tell regarding this setting’s controversy, but it’s clear many aren’t happy with it.

  • What is Foresight in Warzone? How to get the Killstreak – Dexerto

What is Foresight in Warzone? How to get the Killstreak Treyarch/ActivisionForesight is now a purchasable killstreak in Warzone following the Season 2 Reloaded update. Let’s check out exactly what it does and where you can buy the item in Verdansk. Warzone’s Season 2 reloaded patch is live in-game and players are getting stuck into all of the new content that’s been added. Of course, the arrival of a brand new sniper and various operators has got the community excited, but it’s an addition that was left out of the patch notes that has garnered the most attention from players. It’s not unlike the Warzone devs to leave a few surprises for players scattered around the map after an update and this one is no different. After jumping into game and heading to various silos around the map, players realized that the monitors inside now sell specialist items. One of which is Foresight, an incredibly powerful killstreak that gives you a huge advantage over your opponents. What is the Foresight killstreak in Warzone? The Foresight killstreak gives each player in a squad the ability to see every single circle in their Warzone match. This allows you and your squad to be positioned in the best possible location before the end of the match. Read More: Best Cold War AUG loadout – Rushing into the circle in the later stages of a game can be incredibly dangerous if an enemy squad is positioned correctly. Foresight alleviates this issue and ensures you’re always one-step-ahead. A lot of Warzone players are unaware that Foresight has been in the game for a long time. However, it was only obtainable in bunkers at an extremely rare spawn rate. Now, Foresight is available to everybody, as long as you have enough money and know where to buy it. How to get Foresight in Warzone? Picking up the Foresight killstreak in Season 2 of Warzone is relatively simple, especially if you’re in a squad. However, you will need to collect $20,000 in cash before you can purchase the item. Although that seems a little steep, it’s well worth the price considering the advantage it provides you with. Without further ado, let’s breakdown exactly how to get Foresight in Warzone. Drop into Verdansk with your squad. – Collect $20,000 in cash from Contracts and looting. – Head to one of the weapon Silos located around the map. – Explore the bunker and find one of the 5% Monitors. – Purchase Foresight for $20,000 and head to the final ring. – There’s one Monitor in each of Silo bunkers and they shouldn’t be too difficult to locate. Hopefully, this has given you all the information you need to know about the Foresight killstreak. Although it’ll set you and your squad back a lot of cash, it could be the tool that allows you to pick up the victory. Read More: Best SP-R208 Warzone loadout class – Keep in mind, now Foresight can be purchased from Silos, it’s likely these locations will incredibly be popular. So, make sure you’re on your guard and ready to take out any sneaky enemies camping inside the bunkers.

  • What is Covert Exfil in Warzone? Players already annoyed at new feature – Dexerto

What is Covert Exfil in Warzone? Players already annoyed at new feature ActivisionIn Season 1 Reloaded, Warzone is getting a brand new mechanic called Covert Exfil that has already garnered its fair share of criticism. Here’s exactly what it is, and why players are annoyed about it. Described as “a challenging new way to escape the match” by developers Raven Software, the Covert Exfil has been looked at by some as a new way to win the game, though Raven have insisted that it’s not a ‘win’ in the traditional sense. Instead, it’s primary aim is to give players the opportunity to leave the lobby with a Weapon Case, because you can’t keep it if you die in the game. That means this will let you back out of the lobby and keep your weapon case, but it’s still going to be a challenge to pull it off regardless. While exact details have not yet been provided, either on how exactly the Covert Exfil will work or what will be in said Weapon Cases, if it’s similar to how things were in Warzone 2’s DMZ mode, then it might mean players can pull exclusive cosmetics and blueprints. How to get a Covert Exfil? As noted, there are not specific instructions or details on the Covert Exfil yet, but we do know some snippets of information. Defined as a ‘Secondary win condition’, the Covert Exfil will come at a “high price” according to the Season 1 Reloaded blog post. They will be available to buy at select Buy Stations, but there will only be five Covert Exfils available per match, and the “high price” hasn’t yet been revealed. Once bought, an exfil helicopter will fly in to bring the player — ideally with the Weapon Case — back to safety and out of the match. Why are Warzone players annoyed at Covert Exfil? Many Warzone players were concerned that a Covert Exfil acting as a ‘secondary win condition’ would dampen the meaning of wins in the battle royale game, as it would technically not be a “real” win in the BR sense. There were concerns that those who got a Covert Exfil would get another notch in their win column as far as the stats concerned, though Raven later explained that it would be counted as a “separate stat.” Nevertheless, it sounds as though completing a Covert Exfil definitely won’t be an easy task. Not only will you have to gather a lot of cash for it, you’ll also have to find the right Buy Stations, too, and hope that the helicopter picks you up before another team can. The Covert Exfil won’t be in Warzone until Season 1 Reloaded launches on January 17, so until then, we won’t get to see what exactly it entails.

  • What’s coming in the next Modern Warfare patch? 725 nerf, crash fixes – Dexerto

What’s coming in the next Modern Warfare patch? 725 nerf, crash fixes Infinity Ward’s launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has gone pretty well for the most part, but there have been a couple of nagging issues, and those are being addressed with the next update, namely the 725 shotgun nerf. There was a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the October 25 release of Modern Warfare, but for as much praise the game has received, it’s also gotten its fair share of criticism. Perhaps the most and biggest complaints have been about the power of the 725 shotgun, which many would argue is currently the most overpowered weapon in the game. But that’s not all that players have been frustrated about; the 2019 installment of the popular FPS franchise has a lot of annoying bugs and glitches that will need to be fixed for the overall gameplay experience to be improved. That said, let’s look at everything that’s confirmed to be fixed/changed in the next Modern Warfare update. Second 725 nerf The 725 still has a major problem with the distance it can be used from and Infinity Ward already revealed more tweaks are coming. Modern Warfare dev Joe Cecot confirmed the next change will smooth out the range problem and hopefully make the 725 feel more like a shotgun, and not the medium-range one-shot-kill weapon that it currently is. Another tweak is coming which should massage out the rare very long shot. Now if the target is at low health this thing will always reach out. https://t.co/qN3cCNovOP — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) November 9, 2019 Spectating bug fix Another annoying bug is being addressed in the next update and this one revolves around dead players in modes such as Search and Destroy, Headquarters, and Cyber Attack being able to spectate the area and make callouts to their teammates who are still alive. Of course, this isn’t really fair to players on the other team, so it’s being addressed. High-rank crashes Another issue that is affecting players is crashing when you reach a high rank. Players are reporting problems with completing Ribbon challenges are the Officer rank that cause the game to crash whenever they try to do anything. This is yet another thing that is being fixed in the next update. Cecot says a fix is in the works and said next update should do it, but there isn’t any timetable. Next update should fix. It’s in the works now but I don’t have an exact time. — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) November 11, 2019 Anything else? There are some other issues with the game that haven’t yet been confirmed for a fix. For example, there’s currently a bug that allows players to prone their way through doors. Outside of bugs, we can expect new content in the form of weapons and maps to arrive with updates, and a leaker is suggesting a Crossbow could be arriving quite soon. There’s not a definitive release date as of yet for the update so stay tuned for that.

  • What is Cash Extraction Event on new Warzone map Fortune’s Keep? – Dexerto

What is Cash Extraction Event on new Warzone map Fortune’s Keep? ActivisionIt’s time for Season 4 to bring big changes to Warzone and Fortune’s Keep is doing just that with the Cash Extraction event. Fortune’s Keep arrives with Season 4 of Warzone and will bring a whole new flavor to the Resurgence mode. Offering a distinctly different experience from Rebirth Island, these original Cash Extraction events are just one way the smuggler’s paradise sets itself apart. The new arena brings players to a Mediterranean hideout to battle for both money and honor. This fresh battlefield won’t be exactly like the ones of the BR’s past though. Alongside the addition of a new type of supply run contract — the Black Market Run — Cash Extractions give players yet another chance to get a leg up on the competition. Cash Extraction Event on Fortune’s Keep explained Players will notice these new events happening multiple times a match on Fortune’s Keep. A gold circle will appear on the map (as well as a flare, like with the old Contraband Contracts) marking the exfil spot for NPC mercenaries to gather dump their money. There are five enemies to take out to start the event but reinforcements will come as the fight lingers on. The Warzone Cash Extraction event has three possible endings: Players collect all the money from the deposit bag. – The helicopter holding the bag is destroyed. – Enough time passes that the mercs get away safely. – After one of those conclusions is reached, the game state will return to normal until it’s time for another extraction. Between these events, the arrival of the expensive-and-illicit Black Market supply runs, and the fact that there are piles of gold just sitting around waiting to be collected, the Mercenaries of Fortune season will really live up to the name.

  • What is Call of Duty: Slipstream? CoD 2021 Alpha, PlayStation exclusive, rumors – Dexerto

What is Call of Duty: Slipstream? CoD 2021 Alpha, PlayStation exclusive, rumors ActivisionCall of Duty fans have begun to cast their eyes forward to CoD 2021, thought to be a WWII game called Vanguard. But what is Slipstream, and how does it tie into Sledgehammer Games’ third independently developed CoD title? Details have begun to eke out for Call of Duty 2021, which is to be developed by Sledgehammer Games, it will be set in World War II and will allegedly be called Vanguard. A lot remains unclear about the game but, like past Call of Duty titles, many expect it to have an early-access beta, perhaps based on pre-orders. We might be on our way to getting an Alpha for CoD: Vanguard, though, if recent leaks are to be believed. That’s where Slipstream comes in. What is Slipstream and how does it tie into CoD 2021? Twitter user Helba, who runs a service that tracks additions to the Battle.net store, noticed that files under the code name ‘Slipstream’ had been added alongside new Call of Duty 2021 assets. Slipstream is subsequently thought to be a code name for the CoD 2021 Alpha, which will potentially be open to players in a similar fashion to Black Ops Cold War’s. Details have not yet been confirmed, but Betas and Alphas have become fairly common ahead of Call of Duty launches. #CallofDuty what is this logo that was slated right along side Call of Duty 2021 assets in https://t.co/DZWiyUuqNz pic.twitter.com/cjxK7eOMC2 — Helba (@Helba_The_AI) June 30, 2021 Call of Duty 2021 ‘Slipstream’ Alpha details, platforms, and leaks While plenty remains unclear about Slipstream and any CoD 2021 Alpha, we can speculate based on past Alpha launches. Black Ops Cold War launched in November, as CoD 2021 is expected to. Treyarch dropped the Alpha in September of 2020 – roughly two months before its full launch. The Beta came in October. As such, we can expect a CoD 2021 Alpha in early fall, with a Beta likely following shortly after. Finally, CoD players, specifically those on Xbox, will be wondering whether they’ll be able to get their hands on early access Call of Duty. Activision’s partnership with Sony has seen Playstation players given early and exclusive content for some time. We have also received confirmation of the Slipstream file name being added into the Playstation Store. 🚨 Update 01.001.000 Released. ⬛ New Size : 35.334 GB 🟧 #slipstream #callofduty #COD2021 https://t.co/hIC7kYRQ6F pic.twitter.com/leyrcW2Y44 — PlayStation Game Size (@PlaystationSize) July 2, 2021 Past years have seen the Alpha live for a couple of weekends, with the first exclusively for Playstation players. Whether this follows the same pattern remains to be seen, but we expect to see some level of exclusivity and extra content given to those on Sony platforms. Battle.net, while not a Sony platform, is owned by Activision Blizzard, so could also get in on early or exclusive content. While fans will undoubtedly get excited, it’s important to take these leaks with a pinch of salt until Activision or Sledgehammer officially confirm what they all mean for players.

  • What is Call of Duty: Future Warfare? Scrapped game replaced by Ghosts leaked – Dexerto

What is Call of Duty: Future Warfare? Scrapped game replaced by Ghosts leaked ActivisionIn late January 2024, some leaks started to surface of a scrapped Call of Duty game from over a decade ago, which was to be the franchise’s first foray into a futuristic setting. So what exactly is Call of Duty: Future Warfare, otherwise known as NX1? There have been many nixed plans for Call of Duty games or features over the years, as will always be the case for such a major annual franchise. However, when these get leaked, they usually come out in real-time, and players anticipate the games before they do eventually get canned. Something slightly different happened with COD: Future Warfare, which has seen a bunch of gameplay, missions lists, and more leaked over 10 years after it was intended to be published. Here’s what we know about the game. Who was developing COD: Future Warfare? Future Warfare, or NX1, was — in an interesting twist — being developed by Neversoft, the studio behind Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. This came after many Infinity Ward employees left to form Respawn Entertainment — the development team behind the Titanfall games and Apex Legends. When was NX1/Future Warfare meant to come out? According to leaks, Future Warfare was meant to come out in 2013 but was eventually ditched in favor of Ghosts. While jetpacks weren’t featured in leaked gameplay, it is clearly a futuristic game that may well have been the blueprint for the advanced movement titles that followed: Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare. Leaked Future Warfare missions list One leaker showed a list of the Missions from the Future Warfare campaign. They were: Border – Visiting Hours – Into the Fire – Winter Anvil – Descent – Hit Hard at Home – Moonbase Assault – Operation Deadbolt – Leaked Future Warfare/NX1 multiplayer maps Of course, multiplayer is the biggest component of a Call of Duty game, and the leaked maps were certainly of interest. The maps were: Whiteout – Legacy Afghan – Legacy Crash – Legacy Outpost – Legacy Overgrown – Legacy Terminal – Apartment – Bin Laden’s Compound – Gladiator Assault – Merc Overgrown Map – Merc Mode Map – BENK – JKU – JPL Dock – The list also features a Blank Test MP Level and ‘Milota’s Test Map’. Why was COD Future Warfare canceled? It’s unclear why exactly this game was canceled, and we may never have a concrete reason, though it has certainly sparked some interest from the Call of Duty playerbase. If this game had come out in place of Ghosts, the trajectory for the COD franchise could have completely changed, depending on the success of NX1. Whether this is ever revisited remains to be seen, but it certainly seems to be a thing of the past now, especially with Neversoft merging into Infinity Ward and now being defunct.

  • What is buyback Solos in Warzone? Rules & how to play – Dexerto

What is buyback Solos in Warzone? Rules & how to play Treyarch/ActivisionFollowing a recent Warzone playlist update, buyback Quads, Trios, Duos, and Solos have replaced the traditional BR modes. But what are the rules, and when are the previous modes returning to the game? Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the most popular battle royale titles in the genre and while fans love the game’s traditional BR format, there’s always a lot of excitement when an LTM is added. While these LTMs only typically replace one or two of the playlist slots, they’re usually extremely popular while they’re available to play. Well, for the first time ever, the devs have replaced every standard mode with a buyback equivalent, meaning players will always have a second chance in every match they play. But what are the rules of buyback matches, and when will the traditional BR modes make their return? What are the rules in Warzone’s buyback modes? In a standard Warzone match, a death before 20 minutes would mean a trip to the Gulag and the chance of being eliminated from the match almost immediately. However, in the ‘Buyback’ modes, players can buy their way back into a match if they have $4500 to hand once they’ve died. With the Gulag disabled, players can continuously redeploy back into a match as long as they have enough money. That is until the 20-minute mark, where the game will then play out in the typical battle royale format. While there isn’t a huge difference gameplay-wise when it comes to ‘Buyback’, players usually push more aggressively and go for more kills within the mode as there’s no risk of being eliminated if you have enough money. When will Warzone’s traditional battle royale modes return? Not everybody is pleased that Warzone has replaced every single BR mode with ‘Buyback’ and a lot of players want to know when they’re going to make a return. As Raven Software typically makes playlist changes every Thursday, it’s likely that the BR modes or at least a few of them will return on September 2. However, as of yet, the developers have not made any official statements on when we can expect to see the standard Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads back in Warzone.

  • What is average K/D in Modern Warfare: How to check your stats – Dexerto

What is average K/D in Modern Warfare: How to check your stats ActivisionModern Warfare’s multiplayer lobbies are incredibly competitive, but what is the average KD in the popular FPS game? There’s no denying how challenging Modern Warfare can be, particularly when you’re facing off against similarly skilled players. Combine the controversial SBMM system with a blisteringly fast TTK and you have a recipe for a tough FPS shooter. In fact, maintaining a positive kill death ratio can be very tricky. While your Modern Warfare KD won’t translate over to Warzone, it can be fun to blow off some steam in smaller-scale matches. This is especially true if you wish to simply gun for kills and get straight into the action. If you’re looking to see what the average Modern Warfare KD is and wonder where you stand, then you’ve come to the right place. What is the average KD in Modern Warfare? Like Black Ops Cold War, the average KD in Modern Warfare sits around the 0.80 to 1.5 mark. This is largely down to the fast TTK and introduction of SBM, which makes going on massive multi-kill tears much harder. Read More: What is average K/D in Black Ops Cold War – If you have a KD that is higher than 0.80/1.5, then you are performing above the average player. Those who place below this threshold are below the average, meaning you die more times than you secure kills. Of course, your KD will change depending on the game modes you play. Those that enjoy playing objective-based game modes will likely have a lower KD than those who purely play for kills. How to check your KD in Modern Warfare? • What is average K/D in Black Ops Cold War: How to check your stats – Dexerto

What is average K/D in Black Ops Cold War: How to check your stats Activision / TreyarchLike most Call of Duty titles, Black Ops Cold War players will be eager to see where they place on the KD leaderboard. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War multiplayer lobbies can be incredibly competitive, particularly when you face off against high KD players. Between the SBMM system and very quick TTK, maintaining a decent kill death ratio can be very tricky. While having a high amount of kills each match certainly looks impressive, your stats are only going to improve if you maintain this level of play. For years, Call of Duty fans have been flexing their KD stats to both friends and foes alike. While having a high KD may not have any bearing on your overall enjoyment of the game, it is still something that is good to track. After all, if you wish to improve, then you at least want to know where you place amongst your competitors. Contents What is the average KD in Black Ops Cold War? Like Modern Warfare before it, the average KD in Black Ops Cold War sits around the 0.90 to 1.0 mark. This is partly down to the fast TTK and introduction of SBMM that make climbing above the 1.0 threshold fairly difficult. If you have between a 0.90-1.0 KD, then you can rest easy knowing you’re among the average. If you find yourself dying more than you get kills, you will likely find yourself under this average. Of course, if you’re getting more frags than deaths and averaging a high amount of kills per game, then this number will be higher. Sitting above a 1.0 KD is considered good in Cold War, with many top pro players averaging around 2.0. Of course, your KD will likely be higher or lower depending on the game modes you play. How to check your KD in Black Ops Cold War? If you wish to check your KD in Black Ops Cold War, then simply follow the instructions below. Head over to the Barracks. – Scroll down to the Leaderboard. – Select Multiplayer. – Click on the Eliminations tab. – Once you’ve done that, you should be able to see your KD. If want to check your Cold War KD without booting up the game, you can head over to COD Tracker and see your stats there. Just enter your PC or console ID and you will be taken to your stats page, where you can view your KD. As with any FPS game, we all have good and bad games and off days, so don’t get too caught up in these stats and just use them to keep track of how you’re doing overall.
