What is a Fury Kill in Modern Warfare 3? ActivisionMulti-kills is one of the integral gameplay aspects of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Whenever you get multi-kills you receive medals and it also adds to your killstreak counts. One such kill combo you can get is a Fury Kill. Here is a guide on what it means in Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 3 ever since its release has been at the forefront of controversy within the player base. However, one thing that players agree with unanimously is that the multiplayer mode in this game is one of the most fun ever. If you are playing the multiplayer mode, you will often end up getting multi-kills where you shut down a couple of enemies in quick succession. One such multi-kill streak you can get is a Fury Kill. In case you are confused about how to get it, we have got you covered. How to get a Fury Kill in Modern Warfare 3? A Fury Kill is something that happens when you kill four enemies within a short duration. You must remember that this can only happen when you get the kills in multiplayer or Warzone. Naturally, getting a Fury Kill in Warzone is kind of impossible, but it is a piece of cake in multiplayer. Ideally, you will never be asked to get a Fury Kill in Modern Warfare 3. However, the reason why you need to consider it is because of the weapon TAQ Eradicator LMG. In order to unlock this weapon, there is a challenge where you need to get three operator Fury Kills. Getting this challenge done is not as hard, provided you are playing in a small map such as Rust or Shipment. You can also do it in Hardcore with a little bit of camping. If it is a big map, the chances are you will find it hard to get a Fury Kill, unless you get lucky or play a game-mode such as Domination or Hardpoint. The best weapons to get this done will be the MCW or the Holger 556 which are two of the most powerful Assault Rifles in the game. This is all that you need to know about Fury Kills in Modern Warfare 3. If you found it informative, do not forget to check out some of our other guides at Dexerto. What is a Cronus Zen and what does it do in Call of Duty and Warzone? – Dexerto
What is a Cronus Zen and what does it do in Call of Duty and Warzone? ActivisionDedicated Call of Duty players invest countless hours honing their skills, yet some resort to less ethical methods, such as using a Cronus Zen. But what is a Cronus Zen, and does employing it in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 constitute cheating? For all of Warzone’s strengths, the popular battle royale game has had a difficult history with cheaters. This unfortunate fate is practically inevitable with it being so popular and free to play. To combat the issue, Activision invested in an advanced kernel-level anti-cheat named Ricochet. Ricochet monitors in-game analytics to identify suspicious behavior and has proved effective at reducing cheating in Call of Duty. Luckily, Cronus Zen’s are now detectable by Ricochet since April 2023, with it being labeled a third-party hardware/software which gives players an unfair advantage. But in spite of its ban, it’s best to know what is a Zen, and how it works. Contents What is a Cronus Zen and how does it work in CoD MW3 & Warzone? The Cronus Zen is a device that allows users to use macros and digitally modify their controllers on most platforms. It can be used with the majority of controllers and potentially allow players to gain an unfair advantage. Once connected, players run scripts via their Cronus which can range greatly. While it does have some use for accessibility and single-player games, it is best known for cheating in competitive titles like Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone. Some examples of the cheats that the Cronus Zen enables include increased aim assist, rapid-fire mods, and even zero recoil macros. However, there are thousands of scripts players can download to their Cronus Zen, meaning cheats can take all kinds of forms. The biggest difference between the Cronus Zen and traditional cheat software like an aimbot is that the Zen changes your controller rather than the game being played. This can make it harder to detect although Activision has said that Ricochet is capable of detecting devices like the Zen. Although, the Zen’s original purpose was meant as an emulator to allow greater accessibility for players with different controllers and needs, however, has since evolved past that. What does a Cronus Zen do in Call of Duty? The video below from John Glasscock shows the Cronus Zen in action, explaining how easy it is to use and how it can equate to in-game cheating. Be warned, it’ll probably frustrate any players who value fair play and competition. Is using a Cronus Zen in Call of Duty cheating? Yes, using a Cronus Zen to gain an advantage is cheating and explicitly against Call of Duty’s rules. Using a Cronus Zen greatly increases the risk of being banned and losing access to your account. On April 4, Activision updated Ricochet anti-cheat to detect cheaters using controllers with a Cronus Zen attached in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. In the official blog post, the developers explained: “These devices can provide a player with the ability to gain an unfair gameplay advantage, such as reducing or eliminating recoil.” Activision stated that players detected using a Cronus in Cod or any other third-party hardware device will first receive a warning. Continued use will result in additional warnings and then an eventual ban. Hopefully, these measures finally prevent Cronus Zen’s from plaguing CoD, but only time will tell. What happens when you try and stop the train in Warzone? – Dexerto
What happens when you try and stop the train in Warzone? [jwplayer ytT6udlT] Ever since it was added to Warzone during Season 5, fans have been attempting to stop the train that encircles the battle royale map. Here’s what happens when you try and stop it. The launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 saw a ton of new features and areas get added to the battle royale game, however, one of the more minor additions is that of the new train that moves around the map itself. The constantly moving location has a ton of great loot there, with at least one or two chests spawning on it every match. This, combined with the fact that it doesn’t seem to stop on its own, has led some people to speculate as to whether or not the train itself can be forced to stop or, at worst, destroyed. The short answer to this question seems to be no, at least for right now. Players have been dedicating themselves to try and stop the train using a variety of different methods and, like the one in GTA V, it seems impossible to stop. One method tried by Reddit user BoldWarrior saw him put three or four trucks on the train tracks in one of the tunnels found on the map, only to have the train plow through them like it was no problem at all. It is worth noting that, at the end of each match, the train does stop of its own free will, so it may be possible to stop it and players have yet to figure out how to do it. Maybe it involves getting inside of it, maybe it involved stopping it some other way, or maybe it truly cannot be stopped. Whatever the answer, the one thing that’s certain: players aren’t going to stop trying to find a way. Keep it locked to Dexerto to see if anyone cracks the code on how to stop the train in the future!

What happens to OpTic Gaming now that LA Thieves took their CDL slot? – Dexerto
What happens to OpTic Gaming now that LA Thieves took their CDL slot? LA Thieves | OpTic Gaming | H3CZWith 100 Thieves officially part of the Call of Duty League with their brand-new Los Angeles Thieves franchise, there are questions about the future of the OpTic Gaming brand, especially now that they don’t have a spot in the CDL. [jwplayer qYU9URvL] Everyone was thrilled when Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez purchased back OpTic Gaming, but the emergence of 100 Thieves’ new CDL franchise, LA Thieves, has raised some serious questions about what comes next for the iconic brand. OpTic had formerly belonged to Immortals Gaming Club before recently being sold back to H3CZ seemingly out of nowhere, and their Los Angeles CDL slot was subsequently acquired by 100 Thieves. Now, the brand is in limbo and a lot of fans are wondering what place it has, if any, in Call of Duty now that its spot in the league belongs to another franchise and OGLA is no longer in existence. How did we get to this point? Going back to when H3CZ first required OpTic from Immortals, it quickly became apparent that he would have to make a subsequent transaction since he is already the CEO of Chicago Huntsmen. Thus, reports came out that the two likeliest scenarios for H3CZ to pursue were to either sell the LA slot and rebrand Huntsmen as OpTic, or sell Huntsmen and move NRG’s CoD esports operations to Los Angeles. Reportedly, he preferred the first option, but sources claimed that the CDL front office wanted franchises to remain tied to the cities they were founded in, which would make the Huntsmen rebrand to OpTic impossible. In those same reports, it was also said that NRG was indeed willing to sell Huntsmen and the Chicago slot to continue operating OGLA if the league was not going to allow them to bring the Green Wall to Chicago. However, that’s obviously turned out not to be the case, as the LA spot was ultimately sold to 100T, which leaves the second scenario as the only real plausible one, despite the CDL apparently not being keen on the idea of a Huntsmen rebrand. That said, the overwhelming sentiment is that Hector, being the savvy businessman that he is, would never have given up the LA slot without knowing that he could bring OpTic to Chicago. This suggests he may have the blessing of the league to execute the plan many believed was his first choice anyway. So, what does this all mean? Before the 2021 season kicks off, we could very well see NRG and Rodriguez get rid of the Huntsmen brand and reshape their CoD franchise as Chicago OpTic or OpTic Gaming Chicago. That would, in turn, put the likes of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘Formal’ Piper back in OpTic colors, something which longtime CoD fans would never have believed to be a possibility prior to this year. Even aside from Scump and FormaL, the transition from Huntsmen to OpTic would be very natural and seamless. The organization has several Green Wall legends already enlisted, including Marcus ‘MBoZe’ Blanks Jr, Nick ‘MaNiaC’ Kershner, and Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards, who runs the content creation team, Team Summertime, under the NRG banner. Then, of course, there’s H3CZ, who hundreds of thousands of fans tearfully watched be separated from his beloved organization after losing out on purchasing it back from Infinite Esports & Entertainment in 2019. Seeing him at the helm of OpTic Gaming once again feels right, which further fuels the speculation that a Huntsmen rebrand is coming, since there just seems no way that he would reacquire the Green Wall brand if he didn’t have bigger plans for it. What happens to Huntsmen if Chicago becomes OpTic? The short answer to this is that the Huntsmen brand will cease to exist, at least for now. That said, however, with the CDL pledging that it’ll look to expand following the 2021 campaign, it will obviously become a top target for prospective owners to adopt for their new franchise. Thus, it’s probably smarter to do the rebrand now as opposed to several seasons in, simply because the name would become embedded in the CoD culture way more by then – possibly a bit too much for the league to be fine with its exit. As things stand, Huntsmen (187.4K) leads all other franchises in Twitter followers by a mile (second-highest is Dallas Empire with 85K), so it’s already the most popular name around. That said, there’s no denying that this is largely due to the Huntsmen’s deep roots in OpTic history. As mentioned above, its CEO and several of the big-name pro players and content creators are icons of the Green Wall, which has inevitably allowed the org to take advantage of the vacuum left behind when OG came under the control of Immortals. Ironically, during its time in the CDL, OGLA became a sort of a ‘public enemy’ among CoD fans, many of whom called the Huntsmen “the real OpTic” and regularly took shots at their social media posts, especially ones that were inflammatory. After beating @Huntsmen, #OGLA tweeted this meme that’s now been deleted… 🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/tLv4TWfKwt — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 26, 2020 So switching things “back to normal,” if you will, would put things in their much more natural state, and if the Huntsmen end up being the sacrificial lamb, it’s probably all for the better in the grand scheme of things. Obviously, that might not be entirely the case three or four seasons down the road, at which point the brand might have too much weight of its own, OpTic or not, for the CDL to allow H3CZ to get rid of it. As things stand, the time to do the rebrand might be now or never, and that’s become evident in Dexerto’s own polling on social media, which asked Call of Duty fans about the two options: What would you like to see happen for #CDL2021? — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) November 6, 2020 Are there alternative outcomes? Yes, this is far from a done deal, of course. As discussed above, the league could very well step in and declare the Huntsmen too popular to give up, unless another suitable franchise is there to immediately scoop up the branding. Since we know the earliest that things can happen is in 2022, there’s a chance that OpTic Gaming is not a CDL team in the upcoming season, and that can continue until there is a new team ready to take on the name. As matters stand though, this seems more of a “when and not if” type of situation. Nothing will be set in stone until official announcements start rolling out. There are a lot of moving parts at play – too many parties who have a say in this process for there to be an overwhelmingly favorite outcome at this time. At the end of the day, H3CZ deserves everyone’s benefit of the doubt that he’ll do everything he can to ensure the best situation for OpTic. While he’d be the first to admit to making mistakes when it comes to how he’s handled the brand, he’s also learned some valuable lessons along the way. There’s no one else who could be trusted to do the right thing for the Green Wall more than he.

What happens to Chicago’s CDL spot if Dallas Empire & OpTic merge? – Dexerto
What happens to Chicago’s CDL spot if Dallas Empire & OpTic merge? Activision/OpTic ChicagoReports have been circulating about a merger between Dallas Empire and OpTic, leaving the future of Chicago’s Call of Duty League spot uncertain. CDL Rostermaina was only heightened by bombshell reports that Dallas Empire & OpTic could be merging. The 2020 CDL champs could be in line to acquire the OpTic brand, leaving the Chicago slot owned by NRG Esports with an uncertain future. This begs the question — what happens to the Chicago CDL spot if the merger goes through? NRG keeps the spot While reports suggest that the merger would lead to NRG selling their Call of Duty League spot to a third party, that is not confirmed and there is every possibility that NRG holds onto their spot in the league. If this was the case, the organization could do one of two things: NRG rebuilds in Chicago: NRG could simply stay put and try to rebuild in Chicago. They have an established fanbase and presence, so it doesn’t make a huge amount of sense to move. While Dallas will likely claim what remains of Chicago’s roster, leaving Chicago with four starting spots to fill, they aren’t the only team starting from scratch this offseason. – NRG relocates to San Francisco: NRG Esports is headquartered in Los Angeles but operates the Overwatch League’s San Francisco Shock. With the CDL already operating two teams in Los Angeles, NRG may look to give their team a fresh coat of paint in the City by the Bay. – Rise Nation enters the CDL Rise Nation is a household name in the world of Call of Duty, but they haven’t been seen on the pro scene since the CWL days. However, Rise owner and Tennessee Titans guard Rodger Saffold has been very vocal on the topic of joining the CDL. In an appearance on Barstool’s Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, Saffold confirmed that Rise had been approached by the CDL but expansion plans for the league had been delayed. Read More: CDL Rostermania hub – However, if NRG were to sell their spot in the league, it wouldn’t make sense for Rise, who are eager to join sooner rather than later, to continue waiting for a promised place in a future expansion. If Rise bought the spot currently occupied by Chicago, relocation could be on the table. While there is every chance the team would stay in Chicago, Saffold could decide to take the team to Nashville, where his NFL career is based. A new org joins the league There is every possibility that a new org purchases the spot from NRG and debuts a team in 2022. That org would then have the choice as to whether they stayed in Chicago or moved to pastures new. Read More: 12 cities the CDL should expand to – Note: Any proposed moves are purely speculation and not confirmed. Staying in the Midwest: If the team was to leave Chicago but stay in the US Midwest, one option could be Detroit. Renegades has become more linked with the Asia-Pacific Call of Duty scene in recent years, but the Detroit-headquartered org has history in North America. However, any team in the Midwest will have to fight Minnesota to the northwest and Atlanta to the south for regional control. – East Coast: The CDL currently only has a single team on the US East Coast (sorry Florida) in the New York Subliners. The Kraft Group aren’t strangers to esports, owning the Boston Uprising of the OWL, and Boston-New York is a classic rivalry that could reach new heights on the maps of Vanguard. Comcast Spectator could make a move to bring the team to Philadelphia. Or perhaps Washington Esports Ventures look to expand their assets into the world of Call of Duty, bringing the CDL to the US capital. – Somewhere else entirely: Cloud9 have been linked with a move to the CDL since the latter stages of the 2021 season. While their social comments seem to be little more than trolling, they could always surprise everyone by coming into the league. While their usual hub of London already has a team, they might not be deterred from making the move. Similarly, Beasley Media Group, current owners of the OWL’s Houston Outlaws, are a known force when it comes to buying their way into esports. Ironically, that would set up a Texas rivalry with the very team that caused the relocation in the first place. – What we do know is that the spot occupied by Chicago is going to look very different entering 2022, whether it’s a brand-new roster or a brand-new city. But until more information emerges about the Empire-OpTic merger, Chicago’s future remains unwritten.

What got buffed and nerfed in Modern Warfare January 22 update? – Dexerto
What got buffed and nerfed in Modern Warfare January 22 update? Infinity WardThe massive v1.13 patch update for Modern Warfare included balancing adjustments for some weapons and Field Upgrades – more specifically, Trophy System and Dead Silence. Modern Warfare’s January 22 update was one of the biggest in recent weeks, introducing the brand new Crossbow, five additional loadout slots, a plethora of bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. Like most major patches, it also contained tuning for certain weapons and items in the game, in order to maintain balance for the performance of certain guns and equipment. Almost all of the changes were buffs, meaning improvements in effectivity, with the only element getting “nerfed” being Dead Silence in competitive play. Read More: How to unlock the Crossbow in Modern Warfare – All that and more are discussed in the full breakdown below, which also includes the specific area of patch notes related to the balancing update. Weapon buffs and changes Overall, the v1.13 patch made six changes regarding weapons, three of which were direct buffs to three different guns. The RAM-7, which is available in the Season 1 Battle Pass, had its base magazine capacity increased from 45 to 50. The bullet penetration of the MK2 Carbine marksman rifle was also increased, while the horizontal recoil of the FN Scar-17 assault rifle was decreased for the “initial bullets.” As for the rest of the changes, players using the M4A1 ‘OG’ Blueprint will notice that the ADS position was moved forward so that less of the user’s line of sight is blocked. In addition, Infinity Ward also changed up the way stats for stocks are displayed in the Gunsmith; the stats are now shown more consistent with other attachments. Fixed a bug where the 1mW Laser would not appear equipped on the 1911 pistol while in the Gunsmith menu – M4A1 Blueprint “OG” ADS position moved forward; the viewmodel or gun’s position relative to the camera or player’s eye is moved forward more, so it blocks less of the line of sight – Changing the magazine capacity from 45 to 50 for the RAM-7 extended magazine. – Increasing the bullet penetration of the MK2 Carbine – Less horizontal recoil on the initial bullets of the FN Scar-17 – Changed the way stats are displayed for stocks to be more consistent with other attachments (this is for the graphs only, not the actual stats) – Trophy System and Dead Silence changes Of the two Field Upgrades, Trophy System was focused on a lot more in this update, as it got several nerfs to make it more appealing for players to use. Its protection radius was increased, meaning its anti-throwable effect covers a larger area. The radius and damage taken from nearby Trophy explosions were both decreased. In addition, in competitive play using the official Call of Duty League ruleset, the Trophy’s charge time is now decreased, which means players can now earn up faster. Read More: How to watch CDL Launch Weekend – Speaking of competitive play, the charge time for Dead Silence was also decreased in the CDL format. However, the lightweight boost that the Field Upgrade offers – which speeds up players when it’s activated – has been removed. Not only are these changes now in effect for custom/private matches with CDL rules, they’re also be implemented in the actual CDL, starting off with the upcoming Launch Weekend. Trophy System: Increased protection radius – Decreased the radius and the damage taken by trophy explosions – Fixed a bug where the explosion damage and effects wouldn’t trigger for the third explosion – Call of Duty League: Decreased charge time on the Trophy System – Removed lightweight boost and decreased charge time on Dead Silence – For more information about the rest of this update, make sure to check out our Modern Warfare v1.13 patch notes page, which includes a full breakdown of all the important parts of the patch.

What does Redeploys mean in Warzone? – Dexerto
What does Redeploys mean in Warzone? ActivisionWarzone’s Resurgence mode saw a minor update to the scoreboard, with a new category labeled Redeploys. If you’re wondering what it means, here’s what you need to know. Since its arrival when Warzone and Black Ops Cold War integrated, Resurgence mode has been a neat spin on the classic Warzone formula. In Resurgence, as long as a teammate lives, you’ll come back to life. It’s been a neat addition for players who enjoy the smaller-sized map pools and an arena to drop high-kill games for bragging rights. However, players have noticed the scoreboard is different in Resurgence, including the addition of a Redeploys tab. The meaning of Redeploys has left some players a little confused, and if you’re one of them, here’s what you need to know. What does Redeploys mean on Warzone’s scoreboard? Simply put, the Redeploys stat in Resurgence counts the number of times you’ve died and come back to life. It functions the same as the death tracker in Call of Duty, although this feature has been missing recently. While Redeploying is a standard feature across all game modes in Warzone, its inclusion in Resurgence’s scoreboard is because it happens way more frequently. In the standard battle royale mode, you may come back once or twice, maybe a third time, depending on your team’s finances. However, since Resurgence focuses on nonstop action, the developers felt this was a necessary quality-of-life update. Plus, it helps all the stat counters keep track of their Warzone K/D. That’s all you need to know about what Redeploys means in Warzone. Catch up on the rest of our COD coverage for more tips and tricks to gain the edge in Warzone. What does Call of Duty franchising mean for amateur players? – Dexerto
What does Call of Duty franchising mean for amateur players? MLGThe August 21 announcement about the brand new Call of Duty League’s 2020 season contained some key information about amateur players and their future involvement in the esport. When Activision announced that Call of Duty would be transitioning to a franchise league model, almost all amateur players, and some current professionals, were immediately concerned about their place in the esport’s future. While the professional level is truly the cream of the crop when it comes to competitive CoD, there are thousands of amateurs who are always trying to prove they belong with the best of the best. The August 21 announcement took major steps in helping quell those concerns, as Activision included a special section directed at non-professionals, assuring them that they still had a place in competitive CoD. “We recognize the important of a thriving Path to Pro competitive scene in Call of Duty esports,” they wrote. “Which has continued to garner strong participation and prizing each year.” CoD esports 2020 – Path to Pro With the Path to Pro system, there will continue to be amateur open bracket competitions and tournaments that will give players a chance to not only earn some money, but also stand above all others for professional scouts to see. “Going forward, we will support and administer extensive amateur competitions, both online and via open bracket tournaments around the world, with dedicated prize pools,” Activision announced. Read More: Censor announces return to competitive CoD – This is obviously incredibly important to the scene, as most consider open bracket LAN tournaments to be one of the most excited aspects of CoD esports, producing hundreds of incredible storylines over the years. If this announcement holds true, than that side of things shouldn’t go through much change, which means amateur players will still have all to play for in the 2020 season. How to pro teams fit into all this? While there will be a clear divide between the professional CDL and these amateur circuits, there is still going to be a bridge that connects the two sides of the esport. Pro teams will be able to sign up to four players to two-way contracts, and “may send up to two players from their roster to compete in the Path to Pro events.” This means that pro players who may not receive a lot of active playing time could be sent down to the amateur level to get some game-time in, but also be available for their pro team to call them up whenever necessary. With rosters set to have a minimum of seven players, and a maximum of 10, these two-way contracts are sure to play a big role in both the pro and amateur levels, and could give many player the lifelines they’d need to keep their careers alive. The full announcement regarding Path to Pro and amateur tournaments can be seen below, as provided by Activision on Reddit. PATH TO PRO: ONLINE & OPEN BRACKET TOURNAMENT COMPETITION RETURNS IN 2020 We recognize the importance of a thriving Path to Pro competitive scene in Call of Duty esports, which has continued to garner strong participation and prizing each year. Going forward, we will support and administer extensive amateur competitions, both online and via open bracket tournaments in cities around the world, with dedicated prize pools. Teams may send up to 2 pro players from their roster to compete in the Path to Pro events held throughout the season. Teams may contract up to 4 total pro players to have 2-way contracts at a given time. – More details about the path to pro system and upcoming open bracket tournament events will be shared in the coming months. The future of Call of Duty Esports is bright and builds on a strong legacy of competitive excellence. We are committed to supporting our incredible player community, teams, fans, and partners in its next chapter.

What CDL New York could look like if Modern Warfare GAs are ignored – Dexerto
What CDL New York could look like if Modern Warfare GAs are ignored Activision[jwplayer ax5RSODz]Call of Duty League ‘Gentlemen’s Agreements’ have been extremely divisive among teams since the latest Modern Warfare update. While a wide array of mechanics and guns have been restricted, some haven’t complied. With the New York Home Series just days away, here’s how things could look if teams fail to reach a middle ground. Since the release of Infinity Ward’s latest title, the highest level of competitive play has seen certain elements restricted. Various weapons and attachments have been off-limits, certain equipment has been a no-go, and even some movement mechanics have been deemed unfair and pulled from play. Activision doesn’t enforce these restrictions through the League itself, however; these are simply agreements between players at the top of the competitive scene. While Modern Warfare maintained a rather similar meta for the first few months of action – with the MP5 reigning supreme – a June 29 patch shook things up. As new equipment now rises to the top, pros quickly looked to establish new GAs, much to the chagrin of a few veterans. There are two options for teams in the League. Either comply with the list voted on by the majority of players, or be blacklisted from all forms of practice. Atlanta FaZe has already fallen into this position after refusing to play with the latest set of GAs. Practice is one thing, but what could the New York Home Series look like if certain teams ignore the unofficial rules? How messy could CDL New York get? Kicking off on July 10, eight of the League’s 12 teams will be in action for the third last Home Series of the regular season. Among those competing will be none other than the FaZe lineup that currently sits atop the CDL standings. Their first match will be against the lowest-ranked team in the Los Angeles Guerillas. This is a crucial showdown as the GA dispute largely stems from lower placed teams looking to offset the meta and destabilize teams at the top. At least that’s the case according to Dallas Empire’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, who demanded a change to the system on July 7. If FaZe refuses to comply with the latest set of GAs from their very first matchup of the event, it could set the standard for the rest of the tournament. Based on their recent struggles to find solid practice, it certainly appears as though they will be competing without care for the new restrictions. Read More: 6 players to watch at CDL New York – This could set a trend and have others following suit shortly after. Seattle Surge’s Ted ‘TeddyRecKs’ Kim is confident things are “going to get spicy” at the event. “I’m not even talking about just Atlanta,” he said during a July 8 Twitch stream. “Seattle doesn’t play this event so I’m not talking about Seattle. But there is a team that’s not going to abide GAs, I know that for a fact.” There’s no telling how many teams will play by their own rules instead of following the majority. But it appears evident that FaZe will not be alone this weekend. With just three events left until the playoffs, and more cash up for grabs at this year’s Champs event than any year prior, things could get heated. But just how different might Modern Warfare look with certain teams refusing to play with GAs in mind? Let’s take a look. How will Modern Warfare hold up without GAs in place? The most discussed weapon since the June 29 patch has undoubtedly been the AUG. This powerful SMG quickly rose to the top spot following nerfs to the MP5. It’s capable of wiping enemies out in just a split moment, leading many to believe it should be plucked from competitive play. However, this mindset isn’t universal. Many pros, including the FaZe lineup, have been practicing with the AUG nonstop. Therefore, it’s likely we see it in use throughout their series with the Guerillas. While the AUG has been a point of focus lately, how far can things go without GAs? Well, one of the most controversial aspects of any Call of Duty release is ‘snaking.’ Pros were even concerned about snaking in Modern Warfare prior to its release. It’s one of few movement mechanics that have been on the list for quite some time. When done correctly, player models can go prone and quickly rise to their feet, nearly turning invulnerable in the process when behind cover. Unsurprisingly, it’s considered a cheap tactic and has never been popular among the pro scene. While teams going against GAs could technically use the exploit, it’s fairly likely we still won’t see any form of snaking. Another point of contention in Modern Warfare is smoke grenades. They’ve been out of the competitive scene for months for good reason. While they drastically change up the state of Search and Destroy, they also have a negative effect on the broadcast. With multiple smokes coming from every player in the lobby, each round can be a blur to follow. This was the case when Modern Warfare first released. Similar to snaking, it’s likely that all teams follow suit with this piece of equipment and keep it out of the meta. Though it wouldn’t be too big a surprise if a team pulled out smoke grenades towards the end of a map just to add insult to injury. Ultimately, the AUG is the most likely candidate to make it through to game day on July 10. While eight teams are clearly against the weapon, others are carrying on with the SMG in play. Beyond this talking point, most GAs have been unanimous for quite some time. Therefore, Modern Warfare likely won’t appear all too different at the elite level of competition. But a few surprises could certainly make it through on the day. Keep your eyes peeled for players going against the grain. The final events of the inaugural CDL season, including Champs, could certainly get heated. When it comes down to the wire during the New York Home Series though, expect to see angry posts across social media if teams do actually follow through in official matches.

What can you unlock in the new “Operation: First Strike” in Black Ops 4’s Black Market? – full details – Dexerto
What can you unlock in the new “Operation: First Strike” in Black Ops 4’s Black Market? – full details The first ever Operation promo event has gone live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it’s called Operation: First Strike. Available via the game’s micro-transaction hub known as the Black Market, Operations are seasonal events in Black Ops 4 which allow players to earn a new batch of content, called Contraband, every couple of months. First Strike is a 200 tier Operation, with each tier offering some sort of cosmetic item, which can include: all-new Blackout characters, Signature Weapons, Specialists outfit skins, and tags/gesture emotes. Players who manage to reach the 200th tier unlock the ‘Blinding Glory’ – an Ultra level Signature Weapon version of the ICR assault rifle. The Blinding Glory features a progression package that includes the Reactive Camo and Summon Mastercraft (Mastercrafts are cosmetic variations of base weapons). Additionally, player who reach tier 200 will also unlock the Hudson, which was just added to the mode with the launch of Operations. Hudson is a playable character in Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale mode. On their way to leveling up to the 200th tier, players will also unlock special items known as ‘Reserves,’ which are cases that will grant players a single item. It is not yet known whether the items in these Reserves are exclusive to Operation: First Strike, or if they can also be acquired through regular micro-transactions. The in-game menu shows that the Operation will be live for the next 53 days, which would put its end sometime between December 10-11, so players will have more than enough time to grind out the tiers once they become available.

What are Warzone’s Redacted weapons? How to find them in Iron Trials – Dexerto
What are Warzone’s Redacted weapons? How to find them in Iron Trials ActivisionWarzone’s brand-new Iron Trials ’84 mode has also brought a new weapon class – Redacted – leaving some players a little confused. So, here’s what you need to know. With Warzone’s Season 5 Reloaded update finally dropping, players have been given a brand new mode to try in the form of Iron Trials ’84 and it’s been a hit. The mode changes some of the game’s typical settings – including the speed that the circle closes, time-to-kill, and increasing the price of loadouts. That means that some players are relying on floor loot more than ever. However, some fans have been left confused by a brand-new weapon class, Redacted, that shows up on some guns. However, if you wield the weapons, it might play to your advantage. Warzone’s Redacted weapon rarity explained Now, the Redacted tag isn’t like the Zombies Wonder Weapon or finding a mini-gun on the ground in Warzone’s normal modes, it’s simply just a new rarity of weapons like common, rare, or legendary. What is different about the new weapon rarity, though, is that any weapon you come across that is labeled as Redacted will have eight attachments. That’s right, more attachments than ever before. They won’t lead to automatic wins, but you’ll certainly get a leg up on the opposition who can only dream of having eight attachments on their weapons. How to get Redacted weapons in Warzone In terms of getting your hands on these Redacted weapons, you don’t have to complete an easter egg or only pick the right Red Door to grab one. They simply show up as floor loot and some players have found them in supply boxes – especially the rarer orange-colored ones. So, you’ll just have to keep an eye out for them as you run around the map. Some players have suggested that the new tag could be a trial for more attachments on weapons, but who knows if that’s the case. Just don’t be afraid to pick one up if you come across it in Verdansk.

What are Warzone Gulag Public Events? All new random modifiers explained – Dexerto
What are Warzone Gulag Public Events? All new random modifiers explained ActivisionWith Warzone Season 1 now in effect, players are just coming to grips with Gulag Public Events. From a look at every unique modifier to how they all work, here’s what you need to know. It’s been over three years since Warzone first released and flipped the CoD franchise on its head. Now regarded as one of the most popular Battle Royales on the market, Activision is constantly seeking to keep things fresh and have players coming back season after season. With this year’s annual release, Modern Warfare 3, now integrated thanks to the Season 1 update, thousands are indeed jumping back to the title to see all the latest changes. And as part of the new Urzikstan map, one particular change in the Gulag is standing out. Gulag Public Events are a brand new feature this season and we’ve got the full rundown below to get you up to speed right away. Warzone Gulag Public Events explained Functioning just the same as regular Public Events out in the wild while exploring Urzikstan, Gulag Public Events are random-chance modifiers that can change how 1v1s play out. Some look to spice up the rapid encounter while others go a little easier on those involved, reducing the stress of the situation. But much like the other Public Events, there’s no predicting which Gulag Public Event may come into focus, if any at all. It’s completely uncontrollable. All Warzone Season 1 Gulag Public Events There are three unique Gulag Public Events to be mindful of throughout Warzone Season 1. They can appear at any time so it’s well worth brushing up and making sure you’re prepared for every possible situation. Below are the three Gulag Public Events and how they work: Go Again: Players who lose in the Gulag will immediately be given a second chance. If they lose the next 1v1, they are eliminated as normal. – Cash Grab: Warzone players can find more cash scattered around the Gulag than normal, as well as a large pile in the center of the map. This will give them extra funds for buying weapons and Killstreaks when they return to the match. – Locked & Loaded: Instead of the base weapons usually found in the Gulag, both players start with two random upgraded guns and armor plates, adding an extra dimension to the fight. – For the time being, Warzone players have to keep these three random events in mind. Though as always, there’s a chance plenty more will soon be added to the mix. We’re sure to see all sorts of variations over the coming weeks and months, so keep your eyes peeled for further changes in the Gulag. Rest assured, we’ll keep you up to speed right here with all the latest developments. But in the meantime, be sure to brush up on the rest of our Warzone Season 1 coverage here.

What are the top five items to use Black Ops 4 unlock tokens on? – Dexerto
What are the top five items to use Black Ops 4 unlock tokens on? Permanent unlock tokens are some of the rarest items in Black Ops 4 and deciding how to use them is one of the biggest dilemmas you’ll face in the game. Players will get a single unlock token with each Prestige level, unless you hit level 34 in the multiplayer beta earlier this year, in which case you’ll have an unlock token from the start. When it comes to choosing how to use the tokens, Call of Duty expert ‘TheXclusiveAce’ has provided fans with a breakdown on the top five items to focus on. When Ace was nailing down what weapons and scorestreaks were worth it, he mainly focused on items that wouldn’t be unlocked until past the halfway point of a Prestige in terms of experience points, which comes out to around level 41. Ace also notes that he didn’t include any perks or equipment pieces in his list since they generally unlock early on or simply aren’t worth it when compared to other items that are available. 5. The Gunship (unlocked at Level 54) Being the highest scorestreak in the game and requiring 1600 points to activate, this is only for those who feel confident they can achieve it on a regular basis. For those that can do so, it’s hands-down the best streak in the game and seeing as it unlocks just one level from a Prestige, it’s worth using an unlock token on. 4. VKM 750 (unlocked at Level 46) For all the LMG players out there, this slow fire rate, high-damage LMG is one of the best guns in the game. That being said, it does have the very low mobility to offset its best-in-class damage, meaning it’s a weapon that only the most dedicated LMG players will want to use. 3. Drone Squad (unlocked at Level 51) Another high-level scorestreak, Drone Squad is special in the sense that it doesn’t require any sort of positioning or targeting that’s seen with the RC-XD or Hellstorm. You simply activate it and the squad will get to work. While Drone Squad doesn’t need as many points as The Gunship to unlock, the 1000 points required could still be outside the range of the average player, meaning that this is another one you want to make sure you’re confident in before spending a token on. 2. Saug 9mm (unlocked at Level 52) Widely seen as one of the best SMGs in the game, the Saug 9mm is one of the last guns unlocked, making it a prime target for an unlock token. The gun might not have a ton of range, but it more than makes up for it with great handling and a ridiculously high fire rate. They can even be dual-wielded when the Operator Mod is unlocked. 1. Maddox RFB (unlocked at Level 49) The last assault rifle to be unlocked, the Maddox is arguably the strongest rifle in the game, with best-in-class fire rate and a beefy magazine. The gun has some heavy recoil that must be controlled, but the gun can compete with SMGs at close-range which makes it another strong choice for an unlock token. Modern Warfare PC requirements: Minimum and recommended specs – Dexerto
Modern Warfare PC requirements: Minimum and recommended specs Infinity WardThe Call of Duty community is eagerly anticipating the October 25 release date of Modern Warfare, as Infinity Ward’s latest installment generates significant hype. But what requirements are there for the PC players? Call of Duty has, in recent years, put particular emphasis on trying to raise the profile of their games in the PC community. They have specifically used BattleNet to encourage PC players to play CoD; a game that has been traditionally console focused. The PC vs Console argument continues to rage on, with PC having some obvious advantages such as improved frame rate and FOV sliders that are, as of yet, not available in console CoD games. But, some PC players have been left feeling undervalued by the developers. Activision Blizzard have now confirmed the minimum required specifications for a PC to run Modern Warfare, as well as the recommended specs. This gives players an idea of what is a necessity and what they will be able to do to maximize their experiences. Minimum storage space for Modern Warfare is listed as 175GB available and 8GB RAM memory. The full PC requirements can be seen below. Modern Warfare: PC minimum requirements Operating System Windows® 7 64-bit (SP1) or Windows® 10 64-bit – Processor Intel® Core™ i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300 – Video NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 / NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon™ HD 7950 – DirectX 12.0 compatible system – Memory 8 GB RAM – Storage 175 GB available hard drive space – Internet Broadband Internet connection – Modern Warfare: PC recommended specifications Operating System Windows® 10 64-bit latest update – Processor Intel® Core™ i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen™ R5 1600X Processor – Video NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon™ R9 390 / AMD Radeon™ RX 580 – DirectX 12.0 compatible system – Memory 12 GB RAM – Storage 175 GB available hard drive space – Internet Broadband Internet connection – The requirements will not provide much of a surprise to dedicated PC players, whose PCs will likely already conform to the requirements. However, it’s worth checking if you’re waiting for Modern Warfare, to ensure you can get straight into the game when it releases on October 25. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also marks the first time a CoD game will feature cross play – seeing PC players being able to compete against their console rivals. Maybe this feature will finally see a conclusion to the endless PC vs Console debate. Or maybe it’ll just exacerbate it as CoD players strive to prove their platform is the best.

What are the howling noises in Warzone? Players suggest crazy theories – Dexerto
What are the howling noises in Warzone? Players suggest crazy theories ActivisionAn increasing number of Call of Duty: Warzone players are reporting hearing wolf-like howling around the northern areas of the map, as questions about the future of Verdansk grow. While Warzone has been widely acclaimed since its March release, a key factor to any battle royale’s longevity is the ability of developers to keep the game fresh with regular updates and content drops. Infinity Ward have already stated that they are going to implement ‘Fortnite-like’ events into their battle royale, in efforts to update the map and keep players engaged. One of the earliest hints at map changes was that the map’s Dam POI appears to be unfreezing, and another has now surfaced. Wolves in Warzone? While reports of players hearing wolves at the map’s Dam go way back to March, it seems the frequency with which they’re being heard is rapidly increasing. Many users are now reporting the sound of bizarre animal-like howling at the Dam, but also at other POIs like Prison and Quarry. What do the noises in Warzone mean? But, what do the noises actually mean? It certainly sounds like a wolf or dog of some kind. Modern Warfare’s campaign sees Omar Sulaman as one of the main antagonists. During the campaign, his alias was ‘The Wolf’, so it could potentially be hinting at his involvement in a Warzone narrative. Furthermore, the locations of the affected POIs are pretty spread out, suggesting any impending wolves are nearing all areas of the map. Read More: Vikkstar’s team wins third Warzone Wednesday – The howling joins numerous other unexplained features. Players have already come across mysterious access cards on the Warzone map, and obscure bases that cannot be entered. Maybe wolves are a kill-streak that are set free when a player uses an access card to open a bunker? Who knows. It certainly looks like Infinity Ward are taking a leaf out of Epic Games’ book – with Fortnite’s battle royale known for foreshadowing in-game changes with easter eggs and teasers.

What are the fastest ways to counter Firebreak’s Reactor Core in Black Ops 4? – Dexerto
What are the fastest ways to counter Firebreak’s Reactor Core in Black Ops 4? One of the strongest Specialist abilities in all of Black Ops 4 is Krystof ‘Firebreak’ Hejek’s Reactor Core. The Reactor Core allows Firebreak users to deal damage to enemy players in their vicinity, including players who are hidden behind cover or even those on the other side of a wall from the player. Firebreak also receives a defensive buff when the Reactor Core is active, meaning that they take less damage from enemy bullets and equipment that they would normally, although Firebreak will die if players use the ability for too long. Thankfully, Call of Duty expert and popular YouTuber Brad ‘Drift0r’ Overbey has examined the Reactor Core, and has found the best ways to kill the Firebreak before he takes you down. Read More: Here are the best guns to use in Black Ops 4 Hardcore modes Drift0r states that due to the Firebreak’s defensive buff, it’s extremely difficult to kill him as a solo player, but if you are close to enemies who are also firing at him you can take him down fairly easily. If you are on your own, Drift0r states that a good way to take down the Firebreak is to disable to the Reactor Core itself. By throwing a concussion grenade or a 9-Bang, the Firebreak character will immediately stop using the Core and instead cover its face, meaning you can kill it as normal without the threat of the Reactor Core. Specialist Weapons that kill in one hit also work well against the Reactor Core, so items like the Annihilator, War Machine and Purifier will kill in one hit, while the Tempest will down him, allowing you to clean up the kill. However, the absolute best method to kill a Firebreak that is using Reactor Core is to simply melee it. Firebreak will die within two melee hits every time, meaning that if you are close to the player you can simply react quickly and hit him to save yourself and take him down. You can watch Drift0r’s full video, which includes statistical breakdowns on Firebreaks health and other ways to kill him below.

Best Warzone loadout perks to use in Season 5 – Dexerto
Best Warzone loadout perks to use in Season 5 DexertoIf you’re new to Warzone or simply wish to get a competitive edge in Verdansk, then it’s worth exploring all of the best Warzone perks that you can equip with your loadouts. Warzone has revolutionized the Battle Royale genre with its fresh take on its in-game economy system, killstreaks, and custom loadouts. While players have grown familiar with the game’s mechanics, there are still a lot of options to consider when creating the best loadout. Loadouts are the most critical part of Warzone, whether they’re obtained from a public drop or purchased at a Buy Station. No matter how you secure one, you’ll want to make sure that the perks it grants you suit the type of style you’re trying to play. Of course, fully customized weapons are a pivotal decision when it comes to sifting between your loadout options, but you’ll still need to utilize the best perks in Warzone if you wish to increase your survival in Verdansk. Here, we’ll break down the differences between the perks and how you can make the most out of your classes. In your Warzone loadout, you can select two weapons, two pieces of equipment, and three perks. Not only do those perks impact your experience on Verdansk, but they also affect the weapons and equipment you pick and how you use them. Read more: Best Warzone SMGs – Since every perk has its use given the right circumstances, we won’t ignore any of them here. Instead, we’ll go through all six perks from each slot and rank them, in descending order, by overall utility. Contents Perk 1 slot: The best Warzone options 6. Kill Chain While the regular use of Kill Chain doesn’t necessarily have a place in Verdansk, the Warzone-specific added bonus of increasing your chances of finding a killstreak could end up saving you some money and offering some fun options during gunfights. Read More: 6 most underrated weapons in Warzone – UAVs, Cluster Strikes, and Precision Airstrikes all cost a good chunk of change. But they are incredibly useful, whether for reconnaissance or, for the latter two, to disrupt campers and snipers, or simply to finish off a faraway foe that you’ve already downed. If you like calling in special favors from the sky, but don’t like spending too much money to do so, then Kill Chain is a fun perk to have equipped. With recent Season 4 Reloaded buffs, Kill Chain is now more effective than ever. It may not be the strongest perks in Warzone as a whole, but it certainly has its place. 5. Scavenger There’s nothing worse than going on the hunt for ammo when you’re all out. Sneaking around and avoiding gunfights is a near-impossible task when you’re in a 150-player lobby. If only you had the opportunity to eliminate an enemy and resupply your ammo reserve from their corpse, right? Well, Scavenger allows you to do just that. Regardless of the ammunition that your foe was carrying, you can replenish your stocks just by running near the scene of the crime. If you find yourself constantly running low or are very dependent on unique equipment, this could be an essential perk for you. But, if you’re running meta weapons then chances are your enemies will usually have the ammo you need anyway, so this isn’t a critical perk. 4. Cold-Blooded Ever been targeted by an enemy Recon Drone? Or shot down from afar by a thermal scope? Cold-Blooded helps put a stop to that, protecting detection by AI targeting systems (although Recon Drones will see you, you won’t be marked). In the early days, this was actually pretty useful since a lot of people ran thermal snipers. Now, it’s mostly helpful in case you run into someone with a thermal that they’ve found from ground loot. It’s fine to have, but fairly unnoticeable of an advantage until you’ve seen yourself glowing brightly for a sniper on a couple kill cams. 3. Quick Fix One of Warzone’s unique aspects is the automatic health regeneration system which provides a seamless transition from a traditional Call of Duty experience into the Battle Royale mode. With Quick Fix, your health automatically starts regenerating every time you get a kill, instead of being delayed slightly. Read More: Best Warzone Assault Rifle class loadouts – While there are Medical Syringes littered around the map, they take up your valuable Tactical Equipment slot — which players will prefer to use for a stun grenade or, more prominently, a Heartbeat Sensor. But, if you often find yourself frequently having to out-gun enemy teams, Quick Fix will help you avoid getting taken down by the second or third opponent, who only killed you because you were already weak. If you’re typically the initiator for your team, this could be a very useful option. 2. Double Time The best Warzone players have a combination of aim, game sense, and movement skills. Double Time directly helps with the latter two and is, therefore, one of the most practical, helpful Perks you can use. By doubling your Tactical Sprint time and increasing your crouch movement speed by 30%, Double Time is crucial to positioning and repositioning in Verdansk. While other perks are dependent on specific situations, this one is literally useful all of the time. Whether you’re trying to traverse dangerous terrain quickly or simply going for that hyper-aggressive flank, Double Time ensures you have the speed for the job. 1. E.O.D While RPGs aren’t as popular in Warzone as they once were, there are still plenty of explosives that could send you reeling back to the Gulag. Semtex and incendiary round shotguns can quickly chew through your health bar if you’re not careful, particularly in late-game zones where ordnance is commonly used. Read More: Best landing spots on Verdansk – Since E.O.D. limits both fire and explosive damage, you will be harder to kill with equipment like Semtexes or Thermites. That means you can take fights more comfortably, knowing that you might not be downed as quickly as others. Perk 2 slot: The best Warzone options 7. Pointman Pointman is one of the best options for teams who want to make money and be prepared by the end game. It doesn’t help you in fights at all, but it can help you earn a ton of cash while completing a series of Recon or Supply Run contracts. If you want to get a second loadout quickly or just want to get a bunch of killstreaks for the final circle (without needing to fight other people for money), then Pointman could be your best choice. 6. Restock The correct use of Tactical Equipment will greatly enhance your chances of winning an engagement with an enemy squad. Whether it be a well-timed Stun or the use of Semtex Grenades to finish off downed enemies, Restock will replenish your stocks over a 50-second period after one is used. While this is most popularly used by Riot Shield-wielders, who are very reliant upon a supply of Thermite Grenades, it can be useful for anyone who really enjoys using their equipment. 5. Hardline Ever gone to snag an item from a Buy Station, only to find you’re a couple of hundred dollars short? Well, Hardline gives you a permanent 25 percent off the going rate for Killstreaks, Field Upgrades, and Armor Plates. This could be a useful perk for one member of a team to run, but really depends on how your squad likes to play things out. 4. High Alert With up to 149 other players in Verdansk at one time, Warzone is about gaining an advantage by any means necessary. Equipping High Alert will make your HUD pulse when enemies are looking at you, but aren’t directly in your line of sight. Read More: Best MP5 Warzone class loadouts – In a mode where intel means everything, the ability to have what is essentially a ‘Spidey-sense’ could be the difference between carrying on or being eliminated. Much like Wraith’s passive ability in Apex Legends, this gives players a consistent casual advantage but isn’t nearly as impactful as Perk 2’s big two options. 3. Tempered As one of the only Warzone-exclusive perks, Tempered stands out as a powerful recent addition to the battle royale. Implemented in Season 5, this unique buff makes your Armor Plates more efficient. Rather than having to armor up with three separate plates, Tempered drops it down to two, with each plate absorbing 75 points of damage. While it can be an effective pick with the right build, Tempered isn’t top-tier just yet. Perk 2 is an extremely competitive slot and for most loadouts, you’d be better off with some of the more popular options. 2. Ghost Heartbeat Sensors and UAVs are the most used items in Warzone for a reason, particularly in the end-game, when players are looking to get the jump on unaware squads. This is when Ghost becomes an absolute must-have perk, since it renders you completely invisible to both. With Ghost equipped, a team will need to see you with their own eyes, secure an Advanced UAV, or guess where you are based on a fortunate Bounty contract. As an added bonus, teams with UAV will likely be distracted by non-Ghost teams, giving you an excellent opportunity to surprise them. Just being able to deny someone else their intel makes Ghost the most important perk to the end game. 1. Overkill Picking Overkill on your first loadout is essential if you wish to utilize two primary weapons across both slots. Not only does it enable you to carry two kitted out meta primary weapons, it also ensures you’re covered across all engagement ranges. That’s why some of Warzone’s elite (current world record holders for most squad kills in a single match) run Overkill as their go-to Perk 2. Still, once you’ve gotten Overkill and equipped your two favorite guns, you’ll need to get a second loadout so that you can equip Ghost. Perk 3 slot: The best Warzone options 7. Shrapnel If you love to use explosives, then this is the perk for you. Whether you’re still rocking C4 or have moved on to Semtex or Thermite Grenades, Shrapnel lets you spawn with an added explosive and that means you can be a lot more effective from the get-go when chucking your boom booms around. While this is an interesting perk and should have some spots where it’s useful, it usually makes more sense to simply stock up on cash and try to buy a Munition’s Box instead. Although, the delay to health regeneration can make it more effective to storm second-story campers after lobbing some nades up there. 6. Battle Hardened In regular multiplayer, Flash and Stun Grenades are tossed around the map left, right, and center. Read More: Best Warzone sniper class loadouts – But in Warzone, the story is pretty different. Heartbeat Sensors are everywhere. That makes Battle Hardened a less exciting option than some of Perk 3’s other options. It can still be an absolutely pivotal perk during a fight, but its utility is limited to rarer opportunities than some of the others available to you. 5. Spotter Lethal Equipment plays a big part in Warzone. Whether it be a well-placed Claymore or Proximity Mine (or even if it’s just an enemy Trophy System), the ability to scout out enemy equipment could give you the tactical advantage before engaging. This perk can be shared among your squad too, highlighting enemy equipment for your teammates simply by aiming at them. Also, being able to hack someone’s equipment just seems like an incredible way to mess up a camper’s day. 4. Tune Up Often the last alive in your squad or are the designated medic? Tune Up is a must-have perk. Not great in a solos match, it can be the embodiment of camaraderie in any of the squad modes. Read More: Best MAC-10 loadouts for Warzone – Tune Up allows you to get your teammates back in the action 25% faster than the standard time. If you manage to make it past Gulag closure, Tune Up can be the difference between taking on your enemies as a pack as opposed to being a lone wolf. Still, the top two options are for those who would rather not be downed in the first place. 3. Tracker A really interesting perk, Tracker essentially ensures that enemies won’t be able to sneakily run away from you without you knowing about it. If you find yourself often wondering where someone went, then this perk will solve those issues. By marking recent enemy footprints in bright red, this perk temporarily reveals the movement of an opponent. Whether someone is Ghosted or you don’t have time to use a UAV or Heartbeat Sensor, Tracker gives you all of the intel you need to secure kills and avoid trickery. 2. Combat Scout The second Warzone-exclusive perk added as part of the Season 5 update, Combat Scout was initially seen as one of the more ‘broken’ perks in the game. Upon damaging your target, the enemy is outlined and pinged for all teammates to see. Obviously, Combat Scout isn’t all that great if you’re a solo player or often splitting from your squad. Though for a team that sticks together, it certainly provides a huge intel boost in the heat of combat. It’s not the single best Perk 3 option, but if you’re looking for some easier wins as part of a bigger team, Combat Scout can definitely help get you there. 1. Amped Amped may not seem very impactful, but it’s one of the best perks in the game. Not only does it allow you to swap between your weapons more quickly, it also enables you to use most equipment in the game faster as well. Like EOD, this makes Amped a perk that is consistently useful and simply improves your own gameplay regardless of what people are using against you. Read More: Best Grau 5.56 Warzone class loadout – If you’re taking down a ranged target with your AR but find yourself in a close-quarters fight, then Amped will quickly enable you to switch out your SMG. Similarly, it can make sure you get your lethal equipment thrown out before someone rushes you. If you’re a slow, methodical camper who likes to run Claymores and snipers, then this might not be for you, but if you enjoy the hyper-aggressive run and gun approach, then Amped is a must. There you have it, all of Warzone’s perks ranked in descending order. It’s important to understand that all of these perks will suit individual play styles in a different way. What are the best perks to use in Call of Duty Blackout? – Dexerto
What are the best perks to use in Call of Duty Blackout? If you are still confused by what perks and equipment you should be picking up and using in Call of Duty’s new Blackout mode, you are not alone, but this guide has everything you need to know. Blackout differs from traditional Call of Duty multiplayer in many ways, and one of them is the perk system. Perks are there, but just like weapons, you will not choose them before the game starts. Rather, you will need to find them laying around the map, and then will need to carry them as a physical item, taking up a slot in your inventory. Further, the perks do not last forever, but instead are finite and will expire after a period of use. This means you will need to be picky with what perks you pick up, and make sure you are activating them at the most effective time. Some perks are best suited to later in the game, while others are better used as soon as you find them. Here’s our recommendations for the best perks to use, and more importantly when to use them. As perks are buffed/nerfed, or new ones are added, we will keep this guide up to date. Awareness: Makes enemy footsteps louder. Lasts 120 seconds, 2 uses. Summary: Always pick up, use in late game. The first time you use awareness, you will be surprised just how much louder enemy footsteps become. You will be able to hear them running around from crazy distance, giving you a huge advantage. This is arguably the most effective perk in the game, however, it should be saved until late game situations. Using it early in the game will still be useful, but when there is still a large circle, you won’t always be in the vicinity of players, or when you are, there will be more gunfire and vehicles muffling the sound. Using awareness when the circle is small and there are less than 15 enemies remaining will give you a huge advantage, and is potentially game winning. Brawler: Increases melee damage and awards 50 health for each melee attack. Lasts 240 seconds, 1 use. Summary: Only useful at the very start of the game. Brawler is much improved from the beta as it will now give you health for every melee attack, but it remains the least useful perk in the game. Very rarely will you, nor want to, find yourself in a melee engagement. There is also such a surplus of healing supplies that the bonus 50 really isn’t worth the risk of trying to punch someone. It can be useful right at the start of the game, when opponents have perhaps not found a weapon, but this is very situational, and you would still be better finding a gun. Consumer: Use time of health and consumable items reduced by 50%. Lasts 300 seconds, 1 use. Summary: Pick up, use immediately. Useful at any time. This perk is not game changing by any means, but being able to heal faster is always beneficial. When you come across consumer, pick it up and just it right away, as you never really know when you’ll be in a pinch and it might just give you the edge. Dead Silence: Move quietly and make less noise opening stashes. Lasts 240 seconds, 1 use. Summary: Always pick up, use in late game. This perk rivals it’s opposite number, Awareness, as the best perk. Enemy footsteps are very loud, and often the sound of your feet stomping around will be the cause of your demise. Dead Silence is always useful, but really you should be storing it until the late game, when there is more chance you are coming up against opponents using awareness, and when the safe zone is smaller and so engagements are closer. Engineer: Reveals nearby equipment and vehicles. Lasts 240 seconds, 2 uses. Summary: Only use if in desperate need of a vehicle. Leave it on the ground otherwise. The only real use for this is if you are about to get stuck in the storm and need to find a vehicle quick to outrun it. As for seeing enemies coming on vehicles, you’ll likely hear them before you see them anyway, so there is little benefit to Engineer besides pinpointing them. It can sometimes be useful to see things like barbed wire or other equipment, but generally this perk is very situational. Lasts 120 seconds, 3 uses Summary: Very useful at the start of the game This perk is pretty much useful after the first few minutes, but if you find Looter on the ground when you first drop, pick it up and use it immediately. It will help you find that level 3 armor you would have missed otherwise, as it will highlight all lootable items through walls. Medic: Revive and heal faster. Healing items give more health and downed allies can be revived with more health. Lasts 240 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Use immediately in squads/duos. In solos, only pick up if lots of loot space. Most of the benifits of Medic only apply in squads and duos, and you will thank yourself for using it in those modes, so always pick up and use immediately there. In solos, the faster healing is still useful, but it lasts for less time than consumer and is not worth dropping anything for, so only pick up if you have plenty free loot spots and backpack. Mobility: Faster weapon swaps and movement. No damage when falling. Fire weapons and use equipment while sprinting and move faster when reloading. Lasts 300 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Pick up and use immediately. Useful at any time. This perk has plenty of benefits, and is useful at any time of the game, so don’t bother holding on to it unless you know you are far from any enemies. It’s also particularly useful if you find yourself getting chased down by the collapse. Outlander: Take less damage and gives faster movement in circle collapse. Lasts 180 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Only pick up if you know the collapse is going to catch you. A very situational perk, Outlander only has any benifit when you find yourself stuck in the collapse (the storm). Really though, you should just pay attention to the collapse’s movements and the timer, rather than wasting a slot on using this perk. Paranoia: Gives an audio alert when targeted by an enemy. Lasts 240 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Don’t pick up. You may think this perk would be helpful, but really, if someone is aiming at you, they have probably already started shooting, which is enough warning without the loud (pretty obnoxious) sound cue this perk will give you. Reinforced: Less damage from fire and explosives, with improved resistance to flashbang, razor and concussion. Lasts 240 seconds, 3 uses Summary: Pick up and use immediately. Useful at any time. Similar to mobility, this perk has lots of benefits and is useful at any time of the match. Flashbangs and concussions are so effective in this game, that if you get hit without resistance, you can pretty much put the controller/mouse down and meet your fate. Reinforced will at least give you a chance. Skulker: While in prone or crouched, you will move faster. Lasts 180 seconds, 3 uses Summary: Pick up, save till late game. Although you would find some benefit from Skulker this at any time, it is best saved till you’re in a small circle in the late game, with more potential to sneak up on opponents in close quarters. Pair this with Dead Silence and Awareness, and you are a full on ninja. Squad Link: View teammates through walls. Lasts 120 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Don’t pick up. Not much to be said for Squad Link, it’s pretty useless. Only you can see your teammates through walls, it might be improved if it gave the same ability to your teammates too. Stimulant: Increase max HP by 100. Lasts 180 seconds, 2 uses Summary: Pick up and use when you know enemies are near. This one is fairly self-explanatory, as everyone likes an extra 100 HP. But, you don’t want to use it and then not see any opponents for two minutes, wasting it. So, best to store this until you find yourself in a fight, then quickly pop it.

What are the best guns to use in Call of Duty Blackout? – Dexerto
What are the best guns to use in Call of Duty Blackout? Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode ‘Blackout’ features an array of powerful weapons, and knowing what guns work best and in what situations is the key to victory. Because it is battle royale, you don’t pick your class setup before dropping in like standard multiplayer, and instead will have to scavenge for weapons, attachments and perks laid around the map. With a full week worth of beta for PS4 players, there will be some players with a head start on release day, so if you didn’t play the beta, this weapon guide will be especially useful. Before we get started on the best weapons in each class, a tip for new players: you will occasionally find weapons with a gold tint on the ground – this means they are fully equipped with attachments. You can either take the gun and use it, or strip it of its attachments and put them on a gun of your choice. Assault Rifles In the Assault Rifle category, it’s hard to pick only one dominant weapon, as Treyarch has balanced the class out well. In terms of consistency, the fully automatic ICR-7 and VAPR AR’s are e ffective at most ranges, and have very manageable recoil. These would probably be your safest bets when just getting used to Blackout – they won’t let you down. You could also add in the ‘Maddox’ to this set, because it too has manageable recoil, and is very effective up close, it does lack at range however compared to the ICR and VAPR. The KN-57 is solid, and certainly not to be ignored, but not many players are highlighting it as their favorite. The Galil is a rare AR, only found in Mystery Boxes, so you’ll definitely want to give it a try if you’re lucky enough to come across one. Finally, there is the Rampart. This is a slow firing, high recoil, high damage AR. It can be very difficult to control, and you will definitely want some attachments on it. Initially, you may struggle with the Rampart, but give it some time to get used to it, and it will be rewarding. Tactical Rifles ABR 223 – AUGER-DMR – Swordfish – For longer ranges and more precise shooting, there are three rifles to choose from; ABR 223, AUGER-DMR and Swordfish. All of these weapons are burst fire or semi-auto, meaning they can be cumbersome in close quarters engagements, but very effective at range. The ABR is likely the most versatile, with a high rate of fire, shooting a three round burst. It is arguably the most versatile weapon in the game, as it can handle itself at close range too. The Swordfish is a four round burst, but it kicks considerably more than the ABR. For ease of use, the ABR definitely wins the battle of the burst guns, but the Swordfish is deadly if you can learn its recoil. The AUGER is the only semi-auto rifle, and can be used almost like a sniper. At close range though it won’t compete with an SMG at all. At long range however, this thing isn’t to be messed with. Low recoil and very high damage, if you can hit your shots you will be surprised at how fast you put someone down. Sub-Machine Guns In total, there are six SMG’s: The Cordite, GKS and MX9 come highly recommended on this list. The Cordite because it has the largest magazine (60 rounds by default, 80 with extended mags), meaning you can keep firing and tear through armor without reloading. GKS and MX9 and very effective at close range, but more useful at longer ranges than the Spitfire/Saug. The latter two might shred up close, but you’d probably be better with a shotgun anyway. At range, the Spitfire and Saug are very difficult to hit your shots with. MP-40 is the classic weapon, so again, if lucky enough to find it, use it. Sniper Rifles Paladin HB-50 – Koshka – There isn’t much competition in the sniper category, with the Paladin the clear winner. Firing a deadly 50cal. round, this sniper rips through armor and will kill in a single shot to the head. Bullet drop is also minimal, so you can hit targets at extreme ranges. The other option is the Koshka, which you will initially find without a scope. It can be somewhat useful at medium range, and better if you find a scope, but it lacks the power of the Paladin. LMGs Titan – Zweihander – This LMG category is easy, as the Titan is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. It comes with a generous 75 round mag, and decent fire rate too. If you can’t find an AR to your liking, don’t sleep on the Titan as it is an ample alternative. It’s even better with some attachments, particularly grip and a sight There is a very rare Zombies LMG, the Zweihander, only found in Zombie locations. It’s actually not as powerful or as easy to use as the Titan, and you cannot equip any attachments to it either. Shotguns SG-12 – MOG-12 – There are only 2 shotguns – the semi auto SG-12, and the pump action MOG-12. There isn’t much to pick from between the two, and both are really only useful in the early stages of a match. If you can be accurate with your shot and you’re close enough, the MOG-12 can kill in a single shot to the head, and both shottys are very effective against unarmored opponents. As the game progresses though, you will want to switch it out for an AR, SMG or Sniper. Other Weapons Hellion Salvo – War Machine – Ray Gun – There are some other, more specialized weapons, such as the Hellion Salvo rocket launcher, or the War Machine from multiplayer. You can also find a Ray Gun if you are lucky which is pretty powerful at close range, and Zombies fans will get a kick out of it.

What are the best guns to use in Black Ops 4 multiplayer? – Dexerto
What are the best guns to use in Black Ops 4 multiplayer? Call of Duty’s classic multiplayer mode returns stronger than ever in Black Ops 4, featuring the high-octane firepower than fans have come to expect from the first-person shooter. As is the norm in CoD, you select your weapons and class setups before the match starts, so it’s important to make sure you’re geared out correctly before you head into the virtual battlefield. Thanks to the multiplayer beta that took place during the summer, fans of the franchise had a decent idea about what weapons they should be using in the full release. However, in the time since the beta, Treyarch have been working on balancing weapons and have made a few changes to some of the guns you may have been using. With that being said, here’s a guide to the weapons you should be using in Black Ops 4 multiplayer: ICR-7 The ICR-7 is the first assault rifle available in Black Ops 4, and with the attachments it can also be one of the best. While the gun has one of the lower damage rates in its class, along with a medium rate of fire, the accuracy of the ICR-7 is what makes it so dangerous. Add Grip II to the weapon, and recoil essentially disappears. visit our extensive guide hub here.

What are personal redeploy drones in Warzone 2? Vondel transportation device explained – Dexerto
What are personal redeploy drones in Warzone 2? Vondel transportation device explained ActivisionPersonal redeploy drones are perfect for getting out of a pinch, repositioning, or catching an enemy squad off guard. Here is everything you need to know about Warzone 2’s newest Field Upgrade. Battle royales suffer from a short respite of action that may detract some players from giving the genre a chance. In a typical BR match, not just specific to Warzone, squads engage in an initial gunfight or two after landing, loot, and then aimlessly wander around until stumbling upon another enemy team. Warzone 1 introduced an ingenious way to cut out the boring part and get right to the good stuff. Portable redeploy balloons allowed players to zipline up and then glide from a significant height to wherever they chose. Community members praised the devs for creating a method to speed up the pace of matches, and Warzone 2 brought the fan-favorite feature back in the form of redeploy drones. Season 4 Reloaded builds upon the innovation by adding a portable version of the handy device. What are personal redeploy drones in Warzone 2? Personal redeploy drones work a little differently than standard redeploy drones. Players can hop off the drone anytime or wait to reach its apex for maximum height. Users need to be aware that they can get shot down while propelling up. Activision described how the returning feature from Warzone 1 works in the Season 4 Reloaded blog. “Unlike the Personal Redeploy Drones in the past, the Portable Redeploy Drone can only be employed by a single Operator.” And instead of cables attached to the drone, operators hang onto the drone itself as they fly up into the air. The developers did not reveal how to earn the Field Upgrade. But it’s safe to assume that players will be able to find them as ground loot in crates or purchase one from the Buy Station. Activision also clarified that the Field Uprade is exclusive to Warzone 2 Vondel matches and will not be in DMZ. For more, check out the full Season 4 Reloaded patch notes.

Once MW3 opened its servers on November 10, hundreds of thousands of players flocked to the servers. What are ‘Operator Kills’ in MW3? While Operator Kills may initially seem confusing with its wording, the task itself is straightforward. To get Operator Kills, all you have to do is kill enemies. What are Black Market Run contracts in Warzone? – Dexerto
What are Black Market Run contracts in Warzone? ActivisionThere are a few major changes coming to Warzone in Season 4 and one of them is the Black Market Run contracts debuting with Fortune’s Keep. These Buy Station upgrades use a familiar formula but bring some all-new rewards to the table. Season 4 of Warzone is placing a lot of focus on the game’s seedy underbelly. Inside of Fortune’s Keep, which as the name suggests is a veritable dragon’s hoard of wealth, there are people willing to supply combatants with illegal items to get them ahead in the fight. These special items are free for the taking for any players who put keep their foot on the pedal and beat the clock to even unlock them in the first place. Black Market Run contracts in Warzone Just like Supply Runs in the past, Black Market Runs will require players to make it to a buy station before time expires. After someone picks up a contract a buy station will be designated with an “Infinite Snake” logo on the map. As long as a member of the squad gets there before the end of the clock the whole team will have access to all kinds of interesting bonuses. Once the first squad has collected their goods, it will remain open for a short time and any other team on the map can take advantage of the exclusive power ups. At launch the list will look like this: Sequencer (EMP) Grenade – Nebula V Minigun – Foresight – Specialist Bonus – Various Classified Weapons – Are Black Market Runs coming to Rebirth Island and Caldera? There’s no official word on whether this is happening or not, but the dev blog does hint towards that fate. In the announcement, this new contract is described as “first on Fortune’s Keep”, but doesn’t specify if both of the other maps will end up getting it or not. Players will be able to get their hands on these new illegal goods when Season 4 goes live on June 22.

What are all the multiplayer game modes in Call of Duty Modern Warfare? – Dexerto
What are all the multiplayer game modes in Call of Duty Modern Warfare? Millions of Call of Duty fans have finally gotten their hands on Modern Warfare but if you’re still waiting, here’s a full list of game modes inside multiplayer. After months of waiting, teases, and speculation, Call of Duty Modern Warfare finally released to fans worldwide on October 25. The game, which is the first installment in the popular sub-series in nearly ten years, has angled more toward ‘realism’ than previous Call of Duty titles. The campaign, which makes a return after it’s absence in Black Ops 4, tackles modern-day issues after pre-release talk of it being incredibly gruesome to the point where some questioned if it needed censoring. Multiplayer itself has a ‘realism’ mode, but what else is there? Well, we’ve got you covered. The newest mode that fans who played the beta will know is Cyber Attack. It’s a new spin on Search and Destroy where, yes, it is an objective-based mode but you can also revive teammates during a set amount of time. There is also Gunfight which was available in its own Alpha for PlayStation owners prior to the Beta. It’s not a typical multiplayer game type, but instead, it’s a 2v2 mode where you can take on other players with a random arsenal of weapons. Ground War has also made its return to Call of Duty but it’s on a vast scale that hasn’t been available in any of the previous iterations. As for returning game types, pretty much all of the classics that Call of Duty fans know and love are back – apart from Hardpoint, which is currently only available in competitive, and Capture The Flag. The full list of regular game types can be found below: Search and Destroy – Team Deathmatch – Cyber Attack – Domination – Free-for-all – Headquarters – Ground War – Realism – Whether or not the staple of Hardpoint will be available, at some point, to fans remains to be seen. For now, though, there are plenty of modes to get your teeth into, so if you can jump into a few games of Modern Warfare, be sure to do so.

Welgun Warzone loadout is so “broken” it outguns meta PPSH & MP40 – Dexerto
Welgun Warzone loadout is so “broken” it outguns meta PPSH & MP40 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have got a “broken” build for the newly-released Welgun, and it could be the best gun yet on Caldera. Plenty of different weapon types have had their moment in the spotlight in Warzone, but with the switch to Caldera and Warzone Pacific, it’s the SMGs that are back up there. Over the last two years, SMGs like the MP5, MAC-10, OTs 9, and Bullfrog have all seen some love, but they’ve fallen by the wayside a bit as the Vanguard crop of the MP40, PPSH, and Owen Gun have started to takeover. They’ve also been joined by the Welgun following the Season 1 update, and it’s safe to say that the new addition is pretty strong in its own right. In fact, some players believe it is “broken” with a few builds. Following the SMGs arrival in Warzone, stats guru JGOD showed off a loadout for the Welgun that was “better than the MP40” with a faster TTK and movement speed. Yet, YouTubers TheKoreanSavage and MrGodz appear to have gone one better with their build. Like JGOD, they opt for standard attachments like the Recoil Booster, Slate Reflector sight, and Hand Stop underbarrel but there are a few unique twists. Instead of the 120mm Gawain Short barrel, they’ve gone for the 320mm SA Shrouded – which hasn’t gotten much love. They’ve opted for the Acrobatic and Fully Loaded perks instead of Frenzy and Quick, which have been incredibly popular. “Broken” Welgun Warzone loadout Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: 320mm SA Shrouded – Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Gawain Skeletal – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 48 round mag – Ammunition: Incendiary – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk 1: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – To get the most of the Welgun you will, of course, need to get it to max level, which means you’ll have to do some serious grinding if you haven’t already. However, it very much appears to be worth it given just how powerful the pint-sized SMG has been to this point.

Weird Warzone invincibility glitch is gifting players easy wins – Dexerto
Weird Warzone invincibility glitch is gifting players easy wins ActivisionJust as it looked like a Warzone player was about to be consumed by the jaws of defeat, an invincibility glitch kicked in to give the player the most unlikely of victories. It seems that it will always be difficult to get away from glitches in Call of Duty as there are simply too many variables to control at once. As we’ve seen recently, camos are somehow being stolen from weapons, and worse still, the Demon Glitch is back. Some glitches are more problematic than others, that’s how it’s always been, but invincibility glitches are probably the most harmful of the lot. Once one occurs, it renders any other players’ efforts throughout the match pointless as they simply cannot win. Worryingly, a new invisibility glitch has been discovered in Warzone and it led to an easy one for one surprised player. CoD Warzone invisibility glitch guarantees wins If a player literally can’t be killed, then it’s game over, and that ruins all the hard work and grafting put in during the course of a 20-minute game. Reddit user babyjakey experienced this firsthand when they were down to the final three of a game of Rebirth and got downed. They did have a self-revive but it wasn’t required as they were allowed to infinitely endure the gas. Furthermore, the OP even confirmed that they couldn’t revive anyway: “Haha it wouldn’t let me do anything.” It’s interesting to note that the player was able to use a spray, and in doing so, the map went from a gas-filled red, to completely normal, meaning the game wasn’t recognizing the poisonous smog. Some of the other commenters theorized that it could be a return of the explosion glitch: “Did you have a riot shield? The explosion glitch works even when you’re downed.” The OP replied claiming he couldn’t be sure. It seems to have happened to others before though, with macefire saying “This happened in my squad and we got the win in Rebirth. Too funny.” A similar thing happened to another Warzone player with them saying: “This happened to me once! The only difference is I wasn’t able to move. But just like you I technically got the win.” Another user added that “This is a known issue since February.” If this is indeed the case, then this glitch could potentially happen in more games of Warzone until Raven gets around to fixing it.

Weird Warzone Gulag bug breaks HusKerrs’ equipment during tournament – Dexerto
Weird Warzone Gulag bug breaks HusKerrs’ equipment during tournament Infinity Ward[jwplayer br5AuoVJ] During Vikkstar’s $210,000 Warzone Showdown tournament, renowned streamer, HusKerrs, experienced a bizarre bug in which his lethal and tactical equipment were disabled following a trip to the Gulag. HusKerrs is one of Call of Duty: Warzone’s most prominent players, with big recent championships in the $100,000 Minnesota ROKKR Warzone tournament and Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown. Over the past three of the latter tournament series, he has grouped with AverageJoeWo and come within the top three places in each of the last three weeks. The duo took first place and won $12,000 in Week 4, third place for $2,000 in Week 5, and, most recently, $12,000 for first place again in Week 6. During that championship run, the indomitable streamer hit the Gulag during his finals matchup against TeePee and UnRational. As soon as he hit the showers for his 1 vs. 1 Gulag duel, HusKerrs’ opponent disappeared, forfeiting the match and granting the streamer an easy return to Verdansk. Whether that be because said foe suffered an unfortunate disconnect or simply wanted to avoid the streamer’s beams is uncertain, but the fallout was an annoying glitch impacting the tournament competitor’s equipment. As HusKerrs explains, there is a bizarre bugged continuation of the Gulag’s internal logic when you win before the timer on equipment usage runs out. In the 1 vs. 1 cage match, players are able to wield their randomized weapons immediately, but are unable to use their equipment for several seconds. If you win before that timer lets you use the equipment in the spooky subterranean bathroom, the game bugs and does not let you use equipment when you return back to Verdansk either. “Well, I mean, I got out, but my equipment’s going to be bugged now until I die. That’s annoying.” Well-aware of the game’s weirder nuances, he casually explains to his unaware teammate that his equipment will now be unusable and proves so to his stream by subsequently grabbing his loadout, which somehow does not register that he has picked up lethal or tactical equipment. Fortunately, the bug didn’t matter to the duo as they went on to win the event comfortably. At the moment, this issue is registered on Infinity Ward’s Trello board, where the developers have notified the public that a fix is in progress but currently incomplete.

Weird Warzone bug makes Heartbeat Sensor completely unusable – Dexerto
Weird Warzone bug makes Heartbeat Sensor completely unusable ActivisionAnother strange Warzone glitch has emerged in Season 4, this time preventing players with Heartbeat Sensors from taking them out and using them at all. Warzone’s incredible popularity has been marred somewhat by the game’s struggles with cheaters and invasive bugs and glitches. Although some of the bugs have been solved – like the infamous ‘demon gun glitch’ – it seems that we’re never too far away from another. Season 4 has already seen major problems with Dev Error 5573, Verdansk’s Red Doors, and much more. Another appears to have surfaced though, relating to Warzone’s incredibly powerful Heartbeat Sensors. The equipment has been questionable in Warzone because of its power in detecting any and all nearby enemies, with some even calling for a nerf. We’re not sure this is what players had in mind though, with a Warzone player completely unable to use his equipment in-game. Redditor ‘imwjd‘ shared their struggles, with the item glitching mid-game and not allowing them to pull it out in any capacity. Even swapping the Heartbeat Sensor out for a nearby Spotter Scope failed to solve the issue, with the glitch persisting and the player’s character reaching for a pocket and pulling out nothing. There is not yet a viable explanation for the glitch, and Raven have not yet responded to the problems publicly or on their dedicated Warzone Trello board. It appears to happen randomly, and some on social media suggested they had had similar experiences with other equipment in Warzone. One player jokingly commented: “At least it’s better than the bug where bringing the heartbeat sensor up would kill you.” They’re not wrong, but it’s still immensely frustrating.

Weird Warzone bug gives player unlimited Trophy Systems – Dexerto
Weird Warzone bug gives player unlimited Trophy Systems ActivisionWarzone has many features that make the game more enjoyable for players such as customizing loadouts to use while roaming Verdansk. But the latest bug in the battle royale could have people wanting to use the Restock perk more often. Perks are a huge part of Warzone’s gameplay. They allow players to give themselves an advantage whether its taking less damage from explosives, having two primary weapons, or even just being able to stay off the radar from UAVs. There are three different perk categories that players must pick for their loadout. One perk that does not see too much love is Restock as there are other popular perks that are more ideal and better to use such as Ghost or High Alert. This latest glitch with the Restock perk has players mindblown and wondering if this is beneficial or not. Restock perk bug in Warzone Twitch streamer ‘its_iron’ was playing a game of Warzone when he suddenly realized the game didn’t give him what he preselected in his loadout. He was using the Restock perk with Claymores as his lethal. However, when he went to place a Claymore, the game decided to throw down a Trophy System instead. The clip shows the streamer extremely confused as he wanted to put down the claymore to guard the zipline leading up to the building his squad was currently on. Making sure he wasn’t going crazy, after 50 seconds passed and his lethal was recharged with the Restock perk, he clicks the button to deploy it which again throws down another Trophy System. What makes this really interesting is that the Trophy System is not part of the “Lethal” class in Warzone. Trophies are field upgrades that can be found through ground loot or crates in Verdansk. At the time, it’s still unknown what caused the glitch to produce the wrong equipment. For now, if you are trying to avoid this from happening, you might want to stay away from the Restock perk.

Weird Modern Warfare glitch puts players in Warzone battle royale lobby – Dexerto
Weird Modern Warfare glitch puts players in Warzone battle royale lobby Infinity WardInfinity Ward has yet to officially announce their anticipated Battle Royale mode, expected to be called ‘Warzone’ after it appeared locked in-game. However, a bug is placing players in the lobby anyway, exposing more clues about the upcoming mode. In attempting to keep details of their classified mode off the internet, Infinity Ward overlooked one critical detail in their own game. The battle royale mode was teased in the Season 2 launch trailer, after the clip ended with players jumping out of a plane with parachutes in a way that’s synonymous with the genre. 🚨 BREAKING: Possible Battle Royale teaser trailer in #ModernWarfare! pic.twitter.com/IEsYCjjHHR — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 11, 2020 But as players jumped in to Modern Warfare to see it for themselves, they were met with a locked-off game mode listed as Classified. Or so they thought. One player’s game glitched them into a lobby for the classified mode, with the title Warzone clearly listed on the top of the screen. It also showcased locked off options for ‘squad fill’, and when you cycle over to the Weapons tab, it shows options for watches, the armory, and something called drop kits. The inclusion of drop kits potentially indicates that players would drop into a game of Warzone with a single piece of gear or equipment, much like CS:GO battle royale mode, Danger Zone. In DZ, players can select one item from a list of gear and upgrades, including armor, more pistol ammo, a spare parachute, or a health shot. This isn’t the first piece of information about Warzone to get leaked. Soon after the trailer for Season 2 was released, a promotional image from the game showing off the Warzone title, and numerous squads of three standing around a downed helicopter appeared on reddit. After that was released, Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution added more fuel to the battle royale fire with numerous in-game screenshots from Warzone, including different locations, players riding quads, and the presumed training area. The leaked screenshots from the glitched-into lobby showed a locked-off training area as well. The key art that was leaked on Reddit showing the Warzone name on the promotional image has been removed, and the image was copyright claimed by Activision on Twitter. However, the in-game images of the lobby remain on Reddit, with other users expressing excitement and a little concern. One player said they hoped that ‘drop kits’ don’t imply that players drop in with weapons, but another user insisted that they would likely drop in with minimal, secondary weapons like basic pistols or knives. It could also mean cosmetic items that are prevalent in the drops of games like Fortnite and Apex Legends, with different parachute skins, smoke trails, and other visual effects being available to unlock and customize. Hopefully, Call of Duty fans won’t have to endure the teasing nature of leaks for too much longer, and the new mode becomes available soon.

Weird Gunship bug makes Black Ops Cold War permanently thermal – Dexerto
Weird Gunship bug makes Black Ops Cold War permanently thermal ActivisionA strange bug with the Gunship killstreak in Black Ops Cold War is giving players a secret advantage for the rest of the match, making it easier to spot and gun down enemies. [jwplayer 38QHhqzR] The Gunship is one of the highest scoring streaks in Black Ops Cold War, with players needing to accrue a whopping 10,000 points to earn it in a match. Obviously, it’s worth the reward if you’re able to earn one, with the ability to absolutely mow down enemies from above as they spawn in, and can easily rack up double-digit kills with it on the right map. But some players are experiencing a bug with it that makes the rest of the match even easier, and it’s unclear why. As you can see in the clip below, Prussian-Monarch was kicked out of their Gunship while playing Moscow Hardpoint, and they seem very confused by it — but not as confused as what happens next. After being kicked out, Monarch is stuck in some kind of permanent thermal vision, with everything looking black and grey, besides enemies who are lit up white like when using a thermal scope. This perk becomes immediately clear when he starts noticing enemies with the bright white glow on them, and we can only imagine that it helped close out the game much quicker and easier with Monarch’s ability to see enemies at any distance or hidden in the tightest nooks and crannies on the map. There doesn’t seem to be any suggestion as to how or why this happened, and Prussian-Monarch seems just as confused as we are, having been unceremoniously and prematurely kicked out of his Gunship. It must be frustrating to not be able to wield the streak after playing so well to earn it, but this strange bug would definitely make you forget about that very quickly.

Weapon Cases arriving in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: New feature explained – Dexerto
Weapon Cases arriving in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: New feature explained ActivisionThe Season 1 Reloaded update for Call of Duty is bringing a popular feature to Warzone’s Battle Royale mode. Here’s what to know about Weapon Cases before they arrive. Warzone’s Season 1 reloaded update is right around the corner, and the developers have revealed just what players can expect. One thing to get excited about is Weapons Cases arriving in Battle Royale. The Call of Duty community is no stranger to Weapon Cases. They’ve previously been a feature in Warzone’s DMZ mode, as well as in Modern Warfare events. But now, they’re landing in the Battle Royale, and according to the blog, there are two ways for players to nab them and their exclusive rewards. How will Weapon Cases work in Warzone? During Season 1, a single Weapon Case will spawn within a small search area at the beginning of each match. Once a player has found it, they can either stay alive and win the match, or they can book it via helicopter using another ability coming to Warzone: Covert Exfil. Covert Exfil will allow a team to fly any player to safety, along with any Weapons Case they might be holding. Allowing them and their team to earn the rewards in the case after their successful extraction. The new feature should help resolve some player gripes about the difficulty of obtaining Weapons Cases with uncooperative teammates. That said, only five Covert Exfils are available per match, and the developer blog made a note of the fact their cost will be high. Meaning players will still need to be choosy about using them. The two new features are bound to mix things up a bit in the game’s meta and provided fans with something to sink their teeth into ahead of the arrival of Season 2. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 Reloaded arrives January 17 on all platforms.

All weapon buffs & nerfs in Modern Warfare 1.07 update – 725, M4A1, more – Dexerto
All weapon buffs & nerfs in Modern Warfare 1.07 update – 725, M4A1, more Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward released a new update for Modern Warfare on November 8 that included adjustments made to several guns and weapon classes. The Call of Duty community had a lot to complain about when Modern Warfare first launched on October 25, with weapon balance being one of those topics. While most seemed to like how the gun-play feels in the game, a few of the weapons were quickly identified as being way too overpowered, with the 725 shotgun being atop that list. Fortunately, Infinity Ward heard the feedback and decided to act upon it, including a series of weapon tuning adjustments in their v1.07 update. You can find the full details about the gun balancing changes below, including the official weapon patch notes from the developers themselves. 725 Shotgun nerfed Almost every player would agree that the 725 Shotgun was the most overpowered weapon in Modern Warfare before getting nerfed. There is no question that the 725 shotgun has been the most complained-about weapon in the early weeks of Modern Warfare, as its devastating damage and versatility made it impossible to take down anyone wielding the gun at short range. It’s safe to say that most players will have been thrilled to see the 725 nerfed, as the 1.07 update reduced its damage range while increasing the spread of the bullets when shooting from both the hip and aiming down sights. While an increased spread does mean that players don’t have to be as accurate with the gun, it also means that the bullets won’t be fired in as much of a concentrated manner, making it more likely to not eliminate enemies in a single shot at distances farther than very close range. M4A1 and all other Assault Rifles nerfed Only time will tell if the M4 will remain as the go-to assault rifle in Modern Warfare. From the very first day that Modern Warfare was released, the M4A1 instantly became everyone’s go-to weapon, mainly due to its versatility and viability at close, medium, and long ranges. With the assault rifle being used by such a large percentage of players, the developers decided to nerf it in the v1.07 patch, reducing its damage range and slightly increasing the recoil. In fact, all of the guns in the class were nerfed, as the hip spread of all ARs was increased to reduce close-quarter effectiveness, while the rifles that use 5.56 ammo had their long range damage reduced. All SMGs buffed, especially the UZI More players could start using the UZI SMG after it got buffed in Modern Warfare. In contrast to the assault rifles, Infinity Ward decided to implement across-the-board buffs to all SMGs, increasing the overall movement speed and move speed while ADS, and slightly reducing the sprint out time. In addition to these buffs, the UZI SMG was given some extra special treatment as its damage range was increased. You can read up on all of this update’s weapon balancing changes below. Make sure to also check out the full v1.07 patch notes for information about everything else the update changed and added. 725 Shotgun: Increase to ADS and Hip Spread, reduced damage range – M4A1 Assault Rifle: Reduced damage range, small recoil increase – Assault Rifles: Increased hip spread to reduce effectiveness up close, less damage at long range for full auto 5.56 rifles – SMGs: Increased move speed, increased ADS move speed, small reduction in sprint out time – UZI SMG: Increased damage range – MG34 LMG: Increased hip spread, damage range reduction, small ADS slow down – M91 LMG: Increased hip spread, small damage range reduction – PKM: Increased hip spread, medium damage range reduction – Pistols: Increased move speed, reduced sprint out time, increased damage range – Crouch and Prone no longer adjust recoil –

All weapon buffs & nerfs in Black Ops Cold War Season 4 update – Dexerto
All weapon buffs & nerfs in Black Ops Cold War Season 4 update ActivisionWith Black Ops Cold War’s Season 4 update now upon us, we’ve broken down every single weapon buff and nerf to get you up to speed before jumping back in. No different from most seasonal updates in Call of Duty, the latest Season 4 patch arrived with an assortment of new balancing tweaks. While the spotlight may have been on fresh content and even new weapons, the overall experience should feel smoother than ever thanks to these adjustments. After a massive balance pass in the Season 3 Reloaded update, SMGs, Snipers, and a litany of attachments were all tweaked. This time around, the Season 4 patch hones in specifically on Assault Rifles and nothing else. Here’s a complete rundown on every single change. Assault Rifle changes in Black Ops Cold War Season 4 To kickstart the new season, Treyarch has overhauled the entire Assault Rifle weapon class. All seven guns have been hit with changes to some extent and all of these changes pertain to specific attachments. Moving forward, Suppressors should feel a little more effective than usual for most weapons. Range penalties across a number of these Muzzle attachments have been reduced. Some received minor tweaks while others were met with rather considerable buffs. Tiny changes for the FARA 83, for instance, drop the range penalty by a single percent. Meanwhile, the XM4’s Agency Suppressor saw a whopping 11% drop instead. However, a select few Rifles actually had this stat increased, adding to the range penalty rather than reducing it. The AK-47, QBZ-83, and Groza will all be slightly less effective from afar when using Suppressors. That’s all there is for the beginning of Season 4, though that’s not to say additional tweaks won’t arrive in the next update. Once players settle into the new content and the meta works itself out, expect to see further balancing tweaks where needed. Below is a full list of the specific Assault Rifle changes in Season 4. Assault Rifles XM4 Reduced range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 11%. – Reduced range penalty on Agency Suppressor muzzle attachment from 33% to 22%. – – AK-47 Reduced range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 13%. – Increased range penalty on GRU Suppressor muzzle attachment from 25% to 27%. – – QBZ-83 Increased range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 17%. – – FFAR 1 Reduced range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 10%. – Reduced range penalty on Agency Suppressor muzzle attachment from 33% to 20%. – – Krig 6 Reduced range penalty on Agency Suppressor muzzle attachment from 30% to 25%. – – Groza Increased range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 17%. – – FARA 83 Reduced range penalty on GRU Suppressor muzzle attachment from 33% to 32%. – Increased range penalty on Suppressor muzzle attachment from 15% to 20%. – – – XM4 –

Watchdog group warns MW3 will be “riddled” with cheaters as provider gives free hacks – Dexerto
Watchdog group warns MW3 will be “riddled” with cheaters as provider gives free hacks ActivisionAn anti-cheat watchdog group is warning that the Modern Warfare 3 beta will be crawling with cheaters for the entire beta. Call of Duty has been fighting cheaters for ages now as Activision tries to contain wallhacks and aimbots through the use of its Richochet anti-cheat detection, but it hasn’t been easy. With all eyes on Modern Warfare 3, cheat providers are gearing up for a whole new wave of clients and the cheating issues have already begun despite PlayStation exclusivity. Now, with PC early access starting on October 12, Anti-Cheat Police Department is sounding the alarm that hackers will be running rampant. Modern Warfare 3 warned of mass cheater wave According to the watchdog group, the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 will be “riddled with cheaters” because a hack provider is giving away free samples like it’s a Costco. “A provider is giving out free cheats for the entire beta to promote their cheat further,” the group said. In the post, a Discord screenshot from the cheat provider was attached where the software seller confirmed that its cheats would be available at no cost during the beta test period. “Our roadmap failed so we didn’t finish the AMD implementation and we will also try to do customization before release of the game,” they added. As such, it seems like MW3 and Activision are going to have their work cut out for them, but the devs have since responded, confirming that anyone caught cheating during beta will be permabanned and a Ricochet update is on the way when the game goes live. For more on the Modern Warfare 3 beta, check out our guide for how you can play as well as all our latest coverage on the next installment in the CoD franchise.

Watch shroud’s best plays from day one of the PC Blackout beta – Dexerto
Watch shroud’s best plays from day one of the PC Blackout beta Fans had high expectations of Twitch streamer shroud’s first experience of Call of Duty’s Blackout mode on PC, and he didn’t disappoint, serving up many highlight reel moments. Real name Michael Grzesiek, shroud was formerly a professional CS:GO player, and is known for his incredible aim with a keyboard and mouse, transitioning to battle royale game PUBG when he retired from CS:GO competition. Because the Blackout beta was only available on PlayStation 4 for the first four days, the Twitch star was forced to dust off his controller to get his first experience of the new game. After getting used to the toggle aim, shroud was back to taking names in no time, hitting some ridiculous shots, only heightening the anticipation to see what he would be capable of when back on PC. The PC beta for Blackout dropped on September 14, and shroud didn’t disappoint, at least after dealing with some frame rate issues, with this crazy two piece sniper spree likely the pick of the bunch. And this next clip is exactly why you should never try to flank shroud – especially when he has a full kitted out Paladin in his hands. It’s not just the sniper that shroud can make the flashy plays with either. Fans who watched him during the Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta will remember his liking to the tomahawk throwing axe, and he is putting it to good use in Blackout too. Here’s shroud hitting a casual 360 tomahawk on the final opponent. And then here’s shroud somehow landing a perfect tomahawk high through the window of the barn – and cleaning up all their teammates too. Shroud will be getting in some more practice while the beta is on, as he is set to take part in the Doritos Bowl tournament on October 27 – only a couple of weeks after Black Ops 4’s release. The tournament will see four teams, with shroud, Ninja, CouRage and DrLupo captains, compete in the first official Blackout tournament. Many are picking CouRage’s team as the early favorites, since he is joined by three current/former pro CoD players, but if the tournament is played on PC, no one should be writing off shroud.

Watch JKap’s Incredible 1 vs 3 Clutch Against OpTic Gaming in Round 11 – Dexerto
Watch JKap’s Incredible 1 vs 3 Clutch Against OpTic Gaming in Round 11 Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan reclaimed a small amount of glory for Luminosity Gaming during the last regular season match in Stage 2 of the CWL Pro League. Luminosity may have already been eliminated from playoff contention but that didn’t stop the players from wanting to show what they were made of in their last match against OpTic Gaming. After an intense first four maps, map five on USS Texas was only ever going to end one way: round 11. All seemed to be lost for Luminosity in that final round when JKap found himself in a seemingly impossible one versus three situation. However, the two time World Champion clearly did not receive that memo: Having planted the bomb at the A bombsite, JKap desperately needed to prevent the OpTic players from defusing it while also avoiding taking damage in the process. Somehow, the veteran player found the perfect timing to check the bomb as Sam ‘Octane’ Larew ran past the doorway to cover Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, who was in the process of defusing. JKap jumped at the opportunity to take down the two players at the same time, killing them before they even knew what was happening and ducking back into the Control Room for cover. A quick jiggle peek was all he needed to throw a quickly advancing Seth ‘Scump’ Abner off guard, and JKap completed the clutch as soon he popped back out. Despite the map five heroics, Luminosity still finished in a disappointing sixth place in Division B, finishing with a record of 6-8. However, it will have felt good to get one over on their former teammate, Octane, while Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper will have enjoyed defeating his old team. OpTic Gaming ended Division B with an identical record to eUnited and UNILAD (10-4) but still retained the top spot in the tie-breaker, giving them the number one seed heading into the Playoffs. Their first match will be against the Stage 1 champions, FaZe Clan.

Following news that OpTic Chicago and Dallas Empire would both cease to exist moving into the 2022 season, making way for the recently-leaked OpTic Dallas brand, it became public knowledge that the owners of the Washington Justice Overwatch franchise were interested in entering Call of Duty. NRG is looking to sell its slot in the CDL and Washington Esports Ventures appeared to be the frontrunners to secure the purchase. While talks were still ongoing until November 2, a potential deal has now reportedly fallen through. This same information was reported by ‘Unscriiptedd’ on Twitter on Nov. 3. OpTic Gaming has always been an established name in the world of Call of Duty esports, but the brand has been through plenty of evolutions since the new franchised league came into fruition in 2020. Under the ownership of Immortals Gaming Club, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles was one of the 12 teams in the inaugural season of the league. Meanwhile, former OpTic CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez teamed up with NRG to launch the Chicago Huntsmen. Ahead of the second season, H3CZ reacquired his beloved OpTic brand from IGC and rebranded the Huntsmen to OpTic Chicago. The slot owned by IGC became available and was subsequently purchased by 100 Thieves, marking Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s return to CoD with his very own franchise: Los Angeles Thieves. With OpTic Dallas all but confirmed, there are more changes coming to the Call of Duty League ahead of Vanguard’s arrival. While a Washington franchise seemed likely based on a report from Dot Esports on September 17, sources have now informed Dexerto that the deal will not go ahead. Sources close to the situation have told Dexerto that negotiations between NRG and Washington Esports Ventures broke down at the last minute. This was further supported when players speculated for the potential lineup all tweeted in unison on November 2. Looks like something fell through with the rumored Washington DC CDL roster.. pic.twitter.com/J1b2udKpxa — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) November 3, 2021 The situation continued to go south throughout the day as reports began to surface that Washington Esports Ventures have indeed backed out of negotiations. If this intel holds true, Activision Blizzard and NRG will be keen to find a new buyer sooner rather than later. With new Call of Duty title Vanguard releasing on Nov. 5 and the CDL’s third season expected to start in January 2022, the clock is ticking for a new franchise.

Was the FFAR secretly nerfed in Warzone? Streamer Aydan sparks silent nerf rumors – Dexerto
Was the FFAR secretly nerfed in Warzone? Streamer Aydan sparks silent nerf rumors Instagram: Aydan/ActivisionWarzone star Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad believes the FFAR may have suffered a secret nerf, as something appears to not be quite right with the recoil anymore. Though, not everyone is sure he’s right. Just like any other battle royale, Warzone has gone through rounds and rounds of buffs and nerfs, with overpowered weapons being dragged right back down to earth. With the integration of Black Ops Cold War, a few new weapons have stood out from the pack, and that includes the FFAR. It’s a weapon that YouTuber and streamer NICKMERCS believes is the best gun in the game, and could be set to suffer from nerfs with a new update. However, according to battle royale star Aydan, the weapon may have already been nerfed in secret, as he thinks something feels off about the recoil. The former Fortnite professional flagged the potential changes on February 20, asking if anyone else had noticed a slight change to the assault rifle. Read More: What’s new in Warzone Season 2 – “So do we wanna talk about how the FFAR got silent nerfed since like 2 or 3 days ago and nothing was said? So tired of guns/attachments being changed without any line of communication and it’s up to us to just figure it out,” he tweeted. A handful of fellow players responded saying they’d noticed a change as well. “I feel like something with the recoil was changed, maybe the underbarrel or the task force barrel got nerfed. Who f**king knows,” Aydan added. So do we wanna talk about how the FFAR got silent nerfed since like 2 or 3 days ago and nothing was said? So tired of guns/attachments being changed without any line of communication and it’s up to us to just figure it out. Am I the only one that thinks the FFAR got nerfed? — Aydan (@aydan) February 20, 2021 I feel like something with the recoil was changed, maybe the underbarrel or the task force barrel got nerfed. Who fucking knows. — Aydan (@aydan) February 20, 2021 Others disagreed though, noting that the weapon still feels as strong as ever. “IDK man that thing still hits,” added TBE Newbzz. “Raider stock feels nerfed and ADS as well,” noted another. Given that its supposed to be a “secret nerf,” the devs aren’t likely to reveal anything just yet. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if more players are noticing the same things, or if its just a placebo on the end of others.

Warzone’s “worst” gun actually dominates now after massive buffs – Dexerto
Warzone’s “worst” gun actually dominates now after massive buffs ActivisionWarzone’s worst gun, the Sidewinder, is actually proving to be meta these days after going through a round of buffs in Season 2 – but there is still a bit of an asterisk over it. When Modern Warfare 3 first launched, players were quick to explore the new Armory Unlocks options. These unlocks allow you to access certain weapons, pieces of equipment, and attachments without the need to level up – you just complete a set number of challenges instead. At first, the Sidewinder proved to be a pretty popular choice with players, but it quickly went downhill. Newer players were warned against unlocking the battle rifle because of its recoil and kick, as well as its not-so-great bullet velocity. However, both of those have been buffed in recent updates, and Warzone guru WhosImmortal believes it is now a meta option in the battle royale – even if there are still some concerns. MW3 Sidewinder is meta in Warzone after Season 2 buffs “The thing was utterly useless for the first few months of Warzone and then it got some buffs and they’ve continued buffing it with recent updates,” the YouTuber said in his February 22 video. “Now it is in a place where if you know what you’re doing with it, and you can consistently hit shots, the thing actually works – believe it or not.” As per TrueGameData stats, the Sidewinder has a comparable TTK to the RAM-7 and MTZ-762 in the first 20 meters, and it becomes “absolutely crazy” if you manage to work in headshots, thanks to its multiplier. The knock on the rifle is that you’re limited to a 30-round magazine and you cannot use the conversion kit as you have to go all in on the buffing its control. Muzzle: Tempus GH50 – Barrel: Tempus Predator Precision – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Magazine: 30-round drum – It isn’t just Warzone where the Sidewinder has been getting some love either. The battle rifle has been viable in multiplayer for a few weeks, but it hasn’t fully taken off in the battle royale. If it does become a popular option again then it’ll be quite the story for the Sidewinder, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Warzone’s weirdest debate yet is about the design of toilets in Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone’s weirdest debate yet is about the design of toilets in Caldera ActivisionSince moving to Warzone Pacific, users have been so busy getting to grips with the new guns and features, that some of the smaller details may have been overlooked. Now that they’ve time to settle in, players have noticed the setup of Caldera’s toilets, and they’re confused. If you’re dropping into Caldera for the very first time, there are plenty of different features that could catch your eye. Whether it be the dizzying number of weapons or the stunning POIs based on real Pacific locations. Ever since we moved into Warzone Pacific, the game has embraced a World War II aesthetic for players to take in. So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a history buff, there are more than a few little nods to seek out. The last thing you might pay attention to is the layout of Caldera’s toilets. Well, players have now taken notice, and it’s led to one of the most bizarre debates since the game launched. Reddit user thepestiIence posted a screenshot in the official Warzone subreddit, kick-starting the discussion. They were baffled that Caldera’s toilets were all situated in line, with no cubicles to protect the modesty of anyone using them. Shocked by the lack of privacy, the poster asked, “so did ppl used to sh*t together or wassup [sic]?” Even players who claimed to have experience in the Air Force said they at least had “walls,” but “no doors.” Luckily, some users in the know were on hand to clarify the situation. It turns out that a layout like this is a standard practice among army boot camps. “When you’re in boot camp there aren’t any walls separating the sh***ers. You’re doing your business in front of everyone.” “Went to active duty, got stationed at Fort Polk, and they were exactly like this too,” said another. “Most of us got our schedule down to where no one else was in there.” Based on other comments, this setup was a relatively familiar sight outside of the armed forces in the past, and this was clearly news to some of Warzone’s younger players. That’s another Warzone mystery solved with the help of the game’s dedicated fanbase. If you’re not sure what to do with this newfound information, don’t worry – we’re not either.

Fastest way to kill Juggernaut’s in Warzone: Viral FAL loadout for anti-Juggernaut – Dexerto
Fastest way to kill Juggernaut’s in Warzone: Viral FAL loadout for anti-Juggernaut ActivisionA Warzone player has what might be the most perfect way to take down a Juggernaut as you can run rings around the heavy-duty brute. As far as getting a legitimate leg up on your opponents in Warzone goes, there are plenty of tools at your disposal. You can throw together some powerful classes, use killstreaks, and vehicles to grab a win. However, one incredibly powerful method has been to use the Juggernaut ability in matches. Just like in Multiplayer, when you become the juggernaut, you get a massive boost in armor and can wield a minigun to wipe out enemies. The biggest drawback, though, is the speed. You meander along and this allows enemies to pick Juggernaut’s off. That can be a slow process though, given how much health they have, but there are quick counters. In the past, we’ve seen players gang up on juggernauts with stun grenades and LMGs, giving them a taste of their own medicine. However, that’s not the way to go. As Redditor LordTexugo shows, your best bet right now is to use a FAL with the FMJ perk. Why? Well, the FMJ gives the weapon a massive damage boost and you don’t have to use more than a few clips. Plus, you don’t lose too much speed while wielding it. Just like LordTexugo does, you can easily run rings around a Juggernaut – especially if they make the mistake of trying to trap you inside a building. You can just wall bang them with shots for pretty decent damage as well. Some players suggested that the setup might actually be “bullying” the Juggernaut, but given their strength, it’s difficult to feel bad for them. Of course, the FAL could get changed at a later date, making this method not as strong as it currently is, but until then, keep this one in your back pocket while running around Verdansk if you ever spot a Jugg.

Warzone’s two-burst Diamatti TikTok loadouts you need to try – Dexerto
Warzone’s two-burst Diamatti TikTok loadouts you need to try ActivisionWarzone’s Diamatti pistols have been incredibly powerful at times and seem to be having a resurgence in Season 6 thanks to “two-burst” loadouts that are getting plenty of love on TikTok. Over the last few seasons, Warzone has had a handful of broken and overpowered weapons that have prompted the devs to jump into action and send out some quick nerfs. The Diamatti pistols from Black Ops Cold War fall right into that category as, back in the early seasons of the game’s lifecycle, they became incredibly effective in both multiplayer and Warzone. Most players quickly leveled them up to get the akimbo perk, allowing them to wield two at once, dealing some incredible damage to foes. While they were nerfed and fell away from the meta, the pistol has been getting some love in Season 6, but it’s not the dual-wield version that is slaying enemies. Instead, players have been experimenting with different set-ups for just the single version of the Diamatti and seem to have had great success. TikTok, especially, has become awash with loadouts where fans have managed to get the sidearm to somewhat resemble a powerful SMG, as they’re hitting enemies with two bursts of shots and racking up eliminations at close range. How have they done this, you ask? Well, most of the classes use the Task Force Barrel, Tiger Team Spotlight, and Serpent Wrap to help increase the damage but also accuracy and overall control. Other attachments can be tweaked to whatever you want, but those three are key. TikTok’s two-burst Diamatti Warzone loadout Muzzle: Sound Suppressor – Barrel: Task Force Barrel – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – Ammo: 30-round mag – Grip: Serpent Wrap – As noted, players have been getting plenty of joy with the new setups, pulling it out on unsuspecting enemies and saving themselves when a situation looks dire. Some have gone on incredible killing sprees with them, making the case for the secondary weapon to be considered as a fully-fledged SMG. Of course, as we’ve seen before, the developers will spring into action if the weapon starts ruining things for everyone else and becomes too OP. We’ll just have to wait and see if that’s the case once again with the Diamatti’s.

Warzone’s Train Station wall glitch is back in a new spot & is ruining people’s games – Dexerto
Warzone’s Train Station wall glitch is back in a new spot & is ruining people’s games ActivisionAn infamous Warzone bug is back in Verdansk with players finding a way to glitch into the wall at Train Station, and its starting to ruin games. Warzone has many spots you can drop into when playing a game each of them with its unique structures. The bigger the area usually means the more players that will drop in at that specific place. The Train Station is one of Warzone’s most popular landing spots when dropping into Verdansk. With different floors and tons of ground loot you are certain to be set up for a good game if you make it out alive. Unfortunately, with Train Station it has seen many glitches and exploits throughout its time in the game and this new is here to ruin your games. Train Station wall glitch is back When you’re on a roll and taking down everyone in sight dying to something can be extremely frustrating in Warzone. This clip shows the wall glitch strike again at Train Station, that will surely frustrate players who run into it. Reddit user ‘El_Nieto_PR’ posted the clip, mentioning that Train Station was their favorite spot to go but is now the most “broken” spot in the game. Other people on Reddit were commenting on this new wall glitch saying that they are not surprised and that this glitch happens in multiple spots at Train Station. As of now, it is unsure if the dev team is aware that this is back in the game, but clips of people dying to this have been floating around and the community hopes it will be resolved soon.

Warzone’s top creators hope the new update is an April Fools joke – Dexerto
Warzone’s top creators hope the new update is an April Fools joke Activision / Pexels, iStockIt appears Call of Duty: Warzone’s community wasn’t thrilled with the latest update, as some of Verdansk’s biggest names shared on Twitter. In particular, Content creators like HusKerrs and JGOD hoped that it was all just an elaborate April Fools prank. A day after Black Ops Cold War received a massive update, tuning most of the game’s weapons and adding new content, Warzone got its own patch. About two hours before the patch was set to go live, Raven Software delivered their patch notes — and people refused to believe those changes (or the lack of them) could be real. Despite relentless community requests for the AUG and FFAR 1 to be nerfed alongside additions to the map and possibly other weapon adjustments, the patch notes were brief. The AUG was supposed to be nerfed and some annoying bugs were supposed to be fixed. Besides those, there wasn’t much else and that prompted some serious disbelief. Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas, one of the highest Warzone earners and among the game’s top players in the world, was absolutely befuddled. Noting that April Fools (April 1, for those unaware) was still a day away, he took to Twitter to express that confusion. April fools is on Thursday I thought? I’m confused https://t.co/UARGGcv2yO — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) March 31, 2021 Despite tweeting past midnight, HusKerrs got quadruple-digit likes on his simple reaction. Many in the comments shared his confusion, with people saying things like “this has to be some type of joke” and “I am so sad.” Husk was also joined in the sentiment by content creators who don’t compete, like the illustrious JGOD. Known for determining gun attachment data that the developers don’t disclose, the creator is already a skeptic of patch notes — but this one took things to a different level. They are trolling the community. Thats gotta be an early april fools right? — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) March 31, 2021 Similarly assuming that this patch had to be an “early April Fools,” JGOD expressed sheer shock at the lack of changes in the patch notes. But, in true JGOD fashion, he later found out that the FFAR had actually been nerfed, despite a lack of mention by the devs. While more and more secret changes are being discovered in the latest update, it remains unclear what is planned for April Fools. If this was an early prank, it surely got a reaction out of people. If it wasn’t, then the top creators are as confused as their fans.

Warzone’s top 50 June Twitch streamers: Biffle, ZLaner, FormaL produce shocking numbers – Dexerto
Warzone’s top 50 June Twitch streamers: Biffle, ZLaner, FormaL produce shocking numbers Activision / CDL / Twitter, DiazBiffle, ZLanerCall of Duty: Warzone continues to be one of the biggest categories on Twitch and the game’s players keep reaching new levels. In June, Twitch’s top 50 streamers posted some wildly impressive stats. While no one could be surprised by Warzone’s most-watched superstars in June 2021, there are some intriguing emerging takeaways as the game continues to mature and talents continue to emerge. Of course, the top of Warzone’s most-watched Twitch list is occupied by big-name streamers like NICKMERCS and TimTheTatMan. Those two combined had over nine million hours watched in June, doubling the next three. But further down the list, some intriguing names pop up — namely, Diaz Biffle, FormaL, and ZLaner. The former is the only streamer in the entire top 50 who doesn’t use a face cam, while the latter two crack the list despite barely streaming. Top 50 Most Watched Warzone Streamers of June 2021 📈🏆🔥 pic.twitter.com/ejveESO7NO — Fox Eye (@FoxEyeFN) July 2, 2021 For Biffle to crack the top 10 is wild and a testament to the player’s skill. It’s very hard to build a brand and streaming fame without a face cam, but Biff’s Warzone reputation has grown so sharply that people tuned into watch 1.3 million hours of gameplay without him using a face cam once. As for ZLaner and FormaL, they both edged out frequent Warzone players despite barely streaming the game in June. ZLaner is literally partnered with Facebook and only streamed on Twitch for two days due the World Series of Warzone’s rules, yet he managed to make it to No. 50. As for FormaL, the legendary CoD pro somehow lands at No. 42 despite barely streaming in June. With OpTic Gaming intently focused on the Call of Duty League, FormaL still managed to squeeze in a few Warzone stream sessions — and those were enough to catapult him into the top 50. This is especially impressive considering players like Rated didn’t get into this list. The Warzone star and former CDL pro is the second-highest Warzone earner ever and No. 3 Aydan’s duo, so him missing the list should be somewhat surprising. As a final note, this list is only for English-speaking Twitch streams, so there are some notable names left off. Considering how popular Warzone has become globally and on platforms like Twitch and YouTube, it would be interesting to see these numbers combining other regions and sites.

Warzone’s The Haunting LTM bug is literally sending ghosts back to hell – Dexerto
Warzone’s The Haunting LTM bug is literally sending ghosts back to hell ActivisionA bug in Call of Duty: Warzone’s The Haunting LTM can send ghosts back to hell by glitching them under the map to end their game. The Halloween update brought back last year’s The Haunting event with a slight twist. Dead players come back to life in the Ghosts of Verdansk LTM but are given supernatural abilities to down opponents instead of guns. Ghosts have a Super Jump, the ability to Teleport, and a Spectral Blast stun to compete against the living players in the battle royale. This makes ghosts fairly mobile compared to normal players. But a combination of these moves can put players in a hopeless position. Warzone Ghost of Verdansk bug is sending ghosts under the map While playing this new mode, Reddit user ‘iByRaMa’ discovered that an untimely use for Teleport can send you through the ground and under the map. Unlike past incidents where Warzone hackers could go under Verdansk to wreak havoc on players above ground, this time people just fall until they’re eliminated. They Super Jumped over a building to avoid people pursuing them but things got spooky when the ghost tried to teleport soon after. The human was coming around the corner and the ghost was looking to close the gap by teleporting. Instead of appearing in front of the enemy, they clipped right through the ground and fell under the map. The player was left with no chance and the game glitched them, “Straight to hell,” as one user put it. Ghosts can get overwhelming in The Haunting LTM and this was definitely a unique way to see one go down. While the clip might be amusing, this could be one of those glitches that Raven Software looks to patch up quickly since it can lead to unintended consequences for using a normal aspect of gameplay.

Warzone’s Supply Choppers could instantly wipe out your entire squad – Dexerto
Warzone’s Supply Choppers could instantly wipe out your entire squad Infinity Ward[jwplayer m8miFj2M]Warzone’s Supply Choppers have been absolutely destroying teams across Warzone lately, as the newly-added Season 4 random event seems to be starting in a pretty strange location. Supply Choppers are supposed to give teams an upper hand in Warzone by dropping off a huge pool of loot. That hasn’t quite been the case recently, however, as the random event has been outright deleting teams from the match. While they can be shot down from the skies and their high-tier items can be scavenged, these vehicles are deadly. They don’t come with weapons attached and players aren’t allowed to take over and pilot them, but Supply Choppers can still wipe out your squad. The random event begins with choppers spawning under the map. If you happen to be near the spawn point when this event begins, you may as well accept defeat. With only 37 enemies remaining in their July 12 match, Reddit user ‘LostLobsters’ could have been close to a big win. Both players in the duo were fairly well kitted out and a Bounty target was in close proximity. Before they could venture around the Dam and find their lucrative opponent, Supply Choppers spawned in. They ascended from underneath the map itself, phasing through the floor and any surrounding textures. In a split moment, this team was knocked, instantly killed, and sent straight back to the main menu. The Supply Chopper event is just one of three unique game-changers across Warzone. It can be a great way to improve your loadout, but it can also be a real burden. There’s no telling exactly when the helicopters might spawn in. While the ‘middle of the match’ is the intended window, they could easily appear early into the game or later than you’d expect. This makes it near impossible to predict when the Supply Choppers will float through the map and potentially kill your team. It’s been an issue for quite some time and Infinity Ward even issued a fix in the June 29 patch. Unfortunately, it seems as though this hasn’t quite put a stop to the devastating problem. Supply Choppers went unchanged with the last major set of bug fixes and the June 29 patch also introduced an assortment of new glitches as well. Some weapons have been hit by bizarre texture glitches and players have been able to drop into Warzone with their ideal weapons. It’s safe to say that the latest patch didn’t quite leave Verdansk in the best state. Be extremely careful until the next update arrives; you never know when a swarm of helicopters might just ruin your day.

Warzone’s Superi 46 nerf is making MW2 favorite meta again – Dexerto
Warzone’s Superi 46 nerf is making MW2 favorite meta again ActivisionWarzone’s Season 5 update has shaken up the battle royale’s meta, with the Superi 46 being nerfed. And now, a popular Modern Warfare 2 SMG is rising up the ranks again. Back in Season 4, the KAR98K and Superi 46 were added to the mix in Warzone as the newest weapons for Modern Warfare 3. They quickly became a formidable and extremely dominant duo, completely taking over the meta for weeks. While the KAR98 was nerfed in Season 4 Reloaded, the Superi wasn’t taken down a few pegs until Season 5. In the newest update, the SMG saw its movement speed nerfed across the board. The SMG hasn’t completely fallen away from the meta just yet, but it’s not as dominant as it was. As a result, other options have been rising up in it’s place. We’ve seen the Static-HV and AMR9 jump right up, but if you want something different, then the VEL 46 might be the better option. That’s right, the Modern Warfare 2 favorite, which is styled on the MP7, has jumped right up into the meta thinking and has even started to be highlighted by Warzone gurus like FaZe Swagg. Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Underbarrel: Paracord Grip – Stock: Demo RXT Stock – Rear Grip: ZLR Combat Grip – Magazine: 50-round mag – While some MW2 guns suffer from a fair bit of visual clutter, the VEL is actually pretty clean. So much so that you can use the iron sights on the SMG without worrying too much about a different optic. As per WZRanked stats, the VEL 46 has become the 12th most popular gun in the battle royale. On top of that, it is also the second most popular gun from MW2 right now. Obviously, there could be further changes that mean the VEL slips away from its current position, but it is a deadly close-range option.

Warzone’s Stim Super Slide is the Pacific’s newest “OP” movement mechanic – Dexerto
Warzone’s Stim Super Slide is the Pacific’s newest “OP” movement mechanic ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are embracing a slick new movement mechanic. After the dawn of the slide cancel, CoD’s fans discovered that the buffed Stim Shots allow you to pull off a “Super Slide.” With Modern Warfare 2019, CoD fully entered the slide-cancel era. More than ever before, mastering your sprints and slides is key to twisted mobility in Call of Duty. Although the mechanics shifted somewhat during Black Ops Cold War (remember the notorious “L-Stick Slide?”), they’ve remained principally the same in Vanguard and exactly the same in Warzone… until now. With the Pacific, Caldera update, the developers buffed Stim Shots so that they add a speed boost (much like a Dead Silence). It turns out that can also be used to pull off a Stim “Super Slide,” to the terror of enemies. How to do Warzone’s Stim Super Slide Super slide for MP40, reposition and… SLAMMED 🙂 pic.twitter.com/DfhJ0x9SgV — Smitty (@zSmitOfficial) December 28, 2021 As shown by Warzone pro, zSmit, the Super Slide has intriguing potential. In his clip, he’s able to use it to pick up an MP-40 silently and quickly – and it’s very easy to pull off: Pop your Stim Shot – Slide forward – Without needing to do anything crazy, the speed-boosted Stim allows you to turn your slide into a longer, faster version. And, while that’s not game-breaking by any means, it gives demons another prong on their trident of mobility weaponry. Warzone players shocked by Stim Super Slide (For mobile users, segment begins at 3:55) Fellow Warzone streamer, FaZe Swagg, was watching some popular clips when the Super Slide made its appearance. Seeing an enemy use it most certainly puts into perspective just how wild it can be. Swagg watched Merk, who was watching TeeP as the streamer encountered a super slider. While TeeP won the gunfight, it still amazed Merk, who called it “the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life.” And Swagg shared in that awed sentiment, saying the Stim is “OP” but “really fun.”

Warzone’s Squid Game loadout challenge is taking over TikTok – Dexerto
Warzone’s Squid Game loadout challenge is taking over TikTok Netflix, ActivisionDystopian Netflix show Squid Game is dominating the streaming platform and the internet, but for some fans watching the show isn’t enough, as a TikTok loadout challenge has appeared in Warzone. Squid Game is a Korean survival drama, that sees contestants from different walks of life compete in children’s games to win a gigantic cash prize. Already one of Netflix’s most-watched series’, the show continues to bring droves of fans. If watching the show wasn’t enough to satisfy your Squid Game fix, then a trip to the streets of Verdansk or cells of Rebirth Island might just be what you need, as an emerging TikTok is taking inspiration from the show. While players can’t don the fluorescent pink garbs of the Squid Game enforcers, some keen-eyed viewers have taken note of their weaponry with a Warzone loadout inspired by the show. There’s no big robot with assault rifles shooting here, but instead, the class revolves around Modern Warfare’s MP5 and the Magnum sidearm. Some players have taken the challenge to next level by using completely stock versions of both weapons, but you don’t have to do that as there is an MP5 loadout that players are using. Warzone’s Squid Game MP5 (MW) loadout Barrel: Compensator – Laser: Tac Laser – Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Perk: Sleight of Hand – The trend has already seen other players discover the remnants of fans trying to use this class for maximum effect. However, results may vary depending on how sweaty the lobby is. This is definitely one of the more unexpected loadouts to appear in Warzone, but when Judge Dread and Rambo are playable, anything is possible.

Warzone’s RPG apparently buffed after Modern Warfare May 19 update – Dexerto
Warzone’s RPG apparently buffed after Modern Warfare May 19 update Infinity WardCall of Duty YouTuber TheXclusiveAce has revealed that the RPG has recently received a buff in Warzone, despite Infinity Ward’s claims that it was going to be nerfed in the May 19 update. The RPG was listed as one of the biggest problems in Warzone, alongside the akimbo snake shot pistols, and many CoD fans were happy when Infinity Ward revealed they would be nerfing the controversial weapons. Ahead of the recent May 19 update, it was revealed in the patch notes that the frustrating rocket launcher was finally set to be nerfed, however, some players such as CoD YouTuber TheXclusiveAce have now claimed otherwise. TheXclusiveAce is best known for his analytical videos, such as in-depth testing and breakdowns on some of the latest weapon statistics in Call of Duty. Following the long-awaited RPG nerf, the popular content creator decided to test the launcher out for himself and claimed that, to his surprise, it had actually become even more effective in Warzone, “It doesn’t appear to be true, if anything, they actually buffed the RPG.” After pointing out that Infinity Ward had toned down the Max Damage Radius on the RPG in the latest update, there was seemingly another change that was not included in the patch notes and revealed that the weapon’s Max Damage had gone up from 150 to 250. The RPG’s new stats would now allow players to one-shot their opponents, who are in the rocket’s Max Damage radius, even if they had max health and armor. “These patch notes just don’t make any sense because they said they reduced the radius that you could get a one-hit kill with an RPG and before this launcher rework you couldn’t get a one-hit kill unless you directly impacted the enemy player,” he added. The RPG was not the only weapon that had apparently received secret buffs, however, the YouTuber claimed that all of the launchers in Warzone had been recently reworked and listed similar changes that had been made to damage stats on the Strela, PILA, and JOKR as well. While he could not be sure that this launcher rework had been implemented in the May 21 patch, he claimed that this “complete overhaul” had occurred at some point after his latest launcher tests in April. As of now, the stealth changes for the rocket launchers, which have apparently made the RPG even more deadly, have yet to be confirmed by the Modern Warfare devs.

Warzone’s Roze operator just got nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded update – Dexerto
Warzone’s Roze operator just got nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded update ActivisionCosmetics don’t often cause controversy in Warzone but the Roze skin created a massive public outcry — and a major nerf is finally on the way in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded. The Roze operator skin was originally the Tier 100 reward in Modern Warfare’s Season 5 Battle Pass. The all-black outfit made Roze hard to see in darker portions of the Verdansk, and adjustments were made in Warzone Season 3 and Season 4 updates to address the issue. Caldera’s bright and vibrant map makes it harder to hide in dark areas as Roze. However, in the current gulag visibility is a massive issue. Rebirth Island lends closer to Verdansk than Caldera, making it hard to see Roze in dark buildings or near windows. Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update nerfs Roze skin A nerf is finally on the way! According to the Season 3 Reloaded patch notes, the Roze skin will have a 70% adjustment to increase the brightness of the operator’s outfit. In the patch notes, Raven Software said the following: Rose Skin Adjustment We have made a 70% adjustment to increase the brightness of the infamous Roze outfit. With the recent lighting improvements to Caldera, it once again made her outfit out of balance with the rest of the Operator options available to Players. – – The notes said: “Just like our Weapon balance, we are very conscious that our Operator meta plays an equally important role in the second-to-second gameplay health so this change was necessary.” As you can see in the clip below, the visibility of Roze on Rebirth Island desperately needed to be addressed. One commenter noted that “this is why I would execute every black Roze skin I would down.” Over 100 people commented on the video and most shared their displeasure with the exploit still being an issue. The root of the complaints in Rebirth Island may be from the Warzone Season 6 update when a Roze nerf was seemingly undone. Warzone players were left baffled as a prior visibility patch was addressed with the update. Fortunately for the commenters and the rest of the Warzone community — their prayers have been answered and a long-awaited Roze nerf is here.

Warzone’s RICOCHET anti-cheat trolls hackers by making enemies invisible – Dexerto
Warzone’s RICOCHET anti-cheat trolls hackers by making enemies invisible ActivisionWarzone’s RICOCHET anti-cheat system has come under scrutiny ever since the transition from Verdansk to Caldera, but a new feature that makes enemies invisible to cheaters is a sign that the software is working hard to combat the issue. When RICOCHET anti-cheat was added to Warzone at the end of 2021, many players hoped it would finally put a stop to the hackers that had been ruining the game for many months. However, shortly after the move to Caldera, reports of cheaters being back and worse than ever started to pour in. Despite a noticeable increase in players using aimbots, and even flying cars, the devs reiterated that RICOCHET is combating the problem. They announced recently that the software is providing a Damage Shield that prevents cheaters from dealing damage. But another RICOCHET feature appears to have emerged, and it’s going one step further in trolling anyone using cheats. In a couple of clips posted to Twitter by Charlie INTEL, RICOCHET seemed to make enemy players invisible during gunfights for those exploiting the game. The first clearly showed a hacker drop into a match and immediately start lasering players from an absurd range. But when the aimbot highlighted an opposing player at close range, they suddenly vanished while they were firing. Before the cheater had time to react, they had already been knocked to the ground and sent to the Gulag. The second clip was more of the same, an enemy quickly disappeared shortly after the fight began, and they were able to get the best of the player using hacks. New feature of RICOCHET Anti-Cheat: when a suspected cheater attempts to shoot at non-cheaters, the non-cheater’s character becomes invisible to the cheater. pic.twitter.com/U1FbxrvN3m — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 19, 2022 Warzone fans responded to the tweet, seemingly over the moon that RICOCHET was not only working but actively messing with cheaters. “The fact that the anti-cheat just trolls the cheaters instead of insta-banning them is hilarious,”replied one player. “RICOCHET anti-cheat is no joke. It’s only going to keep getting more stronger and sooner or later legit cheating/silent cheating will end too,” said another. While there’s no doubt that there’s still a lot of work to be done before the cheating problem is completely solved in Warzone, videos like this go a long way in reassuring the community that RICOCHET is doing the business.

Warzone’s return to Rebirth Island is a nostalgia trip for all the wrong reasons – Dexerto
Warzone’s return to Rebirth Island is a nostalgia trip for all the wrong reasons Raven SoftwareThe return of Rebirth Island was meant to be a major kickoff for Warzone’s Season 3 that could bring old players back in droves, but that was before the launch was marred with bugs, delays, and a litany of other issues. Despite the hype for the return of Rebirth Island in Warzone, the launch of Season 3 is off to a rough start thanks to bugs, connection issues, and the “sweats” taking over the map. The start of a new season of content for any game is always going to have some issues at first, but to have this event hyped up to the degree it was, and to then release in this state, is a big disappointment. It’s reminding many players why Warzone may not be for them anymore, and for any old players the devs wanted back, a reminder of why they’ve been away. Immediately when Season 3 launched, users wanted to log in to dive back into Rebirth Island. Instead, they were hit with a wall of issues. For some, their update on Battle.net was stuck at 99% and would not move. Others had to completely reinstall the game again for the update. “Has happened to me the past 3 updates. I’m at work now and am 100% expecting it to be the same situation when I get home later,” one player chimed in. But possibly the worst aspect was the return of a glitch that causes the game to be stuck on a black screen when booting up. This happened when Season 2 released as well. When Season 3 was hyped as a nostalgia trip, this isn’t what we had in mind. But for those who are able to make it through and play Warzone, the return to Rebirth Island is an underwhelming experience as the most competitive and toxic players, known as “sweats,” have infiltrated the map out of the gate. As one player said, “Every game, I’m against TikTok and Twitch streamers with three viewers who try their hardest in the hope that one day they will make it big.” Just looking through social media shows that this has been a less-than-nostalgic return to one of Warzone’s most popular maps among fans. This launch of Season 3, and this rerelease of the map, was something that was meant to be a sort of “comeback” moment for Warzone. Instead, players are left unable to get into the game, or if they do make it, wishing they were playing something else.

Warzone’s Radar Jammer nerfed again in Season 4 Reloaded update – Dexerto
Warzone’s Radar Jammer nerfed again in Season 4 Reloaded update ActivisionRadar Jammers have been causing a huge amount of frustration as of late, and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is looking to solve the issue by reducing the Field Upgrade’s drop rate on Fortune’s Keep. Warzone Season 4 Reloaded has arrived and there’s plenty of fresh content for players to sink their teeth into. The mid-season update has introduced zombies back into the game for the first time since the Verdansk days in Rebirth of the Dead, and murderous machines are roaming the maps thanks to a crossover with the iconic Terminator franchise. Raven have also taken this opportunity to introduce some quality of life changes to make Warzone Season 4 Reloaded even more enjoyable. Among them, is a reduced drop rate for one of the game’s most frustrating Field Upgrades. Radar Jammer drop rate reduced on Fortune’s Keep In Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, Radar Jammers will appear less frequently on Fortune’s Keep in an effort to stop them from being spammed. Players on the latest Warzone map will see the Field Upgrade spawn less frequently as ground loot and pop out of crates less often. Radar Jammers temporarily disable the minimap of any enemy within a certain radius, as well as stopping them from calling in killstreaks. With such a useful effect, it’s no surprise that they were being used constantly on Fortune’s Keep, so the devs have moved their drop rate more in line with that of Rebirth Island. Ever since their arrival in Warzone Season 3, the Radar Jammer Field Upgrade has been wreaking havoc on the game’s smaller maps. The equipment’s huge radius wasn’t adjusted to suit the more compact Rebirth Island, meaning it could affect almost every enemy player on the map. This problem carried over to Fortune’s Keep before their drop rate was reduced for the first time in the Season 4 update, followed by a nerf to reduce its radius by 20%. However, this turned out not to be enough, and matches on Fortune’s Keep were still dominated by Radar Jammers, leaving players without a minimap for much of the game. Hopefully, now that Radar Jammers will appear far less frequently, Fortune’s Keep lobbies will be better than ever in Warzone Season 4.

Warzone’s quality testers ignored after 17 days of striking – Dexerto
Warzone’s quality testers ignored after 17 days of striking ActivisionJust before Call of Duty: Warzone’s Pacific map launched, there was news of a strike among the developers’ quality assurance team. Now, 17 days later, their demands are apparently still being ignored despite the game’s quality issues. It’s no secret that Warzone has a lot of bugs and glitches. In just the past week alone, Buy Stations have caused game crashes and console players have mulled retirement. While people on social media are quick to flame the devs at Raven Software for these issues, those devs don’t seem very happy either. A few days before Pacific launched, it was revealed that a number of QA testers were laid off, despite earlier promises of better pay. Then, in solidarity, “around 40 QA testers” decided to walk out in protest of those layoffs on December 6. Now, 17 days later, the devs explained that they are still on strike as their demands have not been met, let alone responded to. Warzone quality testers still on strike We have been striking for close to 17 days now with no response to our demand: those laid off from Raven QA must be reinstated. Soon we will be starting our paid holiday vacation (which was fought for by workers organizing). — ABetterABK 💙 ABK Workers Alliance (@ABetterABK) December 22, 2021 As tweeted by the Activision Blizzard King Workers Alliance, “We have been striking for close to 17 days now with no response to our demand.” And the demand in question here is for the QA testers who were laid off to be “reinstated.” Without any reply from Activision, it seems that workers will head into their holiday vacation while still on strike. It’s unclear what that means for the game and its current testing team, but there have been numerous patches since the walkout so not all activity has been compromised. These people were asked to relocate to Madison, WI to work here. Now they are out of a job on January 28th. Our QA team does incredible work but this will not only increase their workload but crush morale. If any industry friends have open positions, please share them. — Austin O’Brien – Woodmancy (@eyyohbee) December 3, 2021 The original alleged motivation for the strike was that QA testers were asked to move to Madison, Wisconsin, under promises of full-time employment following their contract work – which ultimately did not prove true for a number of employees. Read more: Best Warzone players of 2021: Top 5 ranked – While Warzone is still patching issues and making adjustments, fans have been vocal about wanting more fixes (especially on console). At the moment, it remains unclear if the QA team will be able to help with those fixes until after the holiday break. And, even past then, one has to wonder how long this strike can last without Activision responding.

Warzone perks receive major overhaul in Season 4: Buffs, nerfs, ground loot changes – Dexerto
Warzone perks receive major overhaul in Season 4: Buffs, nerfs, ground loot changes ActivisionWarzone Season 4 is here, bringing an abundance of major changes to the game and perks have received a lot of focus this time around. From new additions in the ground loot pool to huge buffs to fan favorites, here’s what to expect when jumping into the action. Warzone Season 3 introduced perks to the ground loot pool in an all-new way. While Field Upgrades were already offering players minor advantages out on the battlefield, equipable perks brought even more advantages for players who were ready to go hunt them down. In Season 4, that feature has been expanded even further as an array of new boosts await the brave soldiers who spend time looking for them. On top of that, some staple perks saw quite a big boost in effectiveness, making them even more important for your loadout. All Warzone ground loot perk changes in Season 4 Hot off the presses of the Season 4 patch notes is the word that there are five more perks that can now be scavenged up out of supply boxes. These aren’t fly-by perks that offer minimal assistance either. Some of the game’s heaviest hitters are now just waiting to be picked up around the map. They now include the following: Amped – Cold-Blooded – Combat Scout – Double Time – Ghost – Perk buffs and nerfs in Warzone Season 4 Battle Hardened’s Stun and Flash resistance effect was cranked up to 70%, that’s nearly double the 40% it offered in Season 3, so expect more players to come crashing blindly through defenses even after they’ve been slowed down by tacticals. Scavenger now awards $500 of extra cash per kill for anyone running it, and Hardline makes that money even more valuable by giving its wielder 25% off of all Buy Station items including Loadouts Drops. Included in #Warzone Season Four: New lootable Perks and some adjustments! pic.twitter.com/eineOC4OHD — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) June 22, 2022 All of this also builds off of the changes to Radar Jammer and Restock, both of which were adjusted to be a little less powerful during Season 3. For more information on what’s changed in the new season, take a look at our patch overview that breaks down all of the latest news.

Warzone’s one-shot Doom Shotgun is back but don’t be too concerned – Dexerto
Warzone’s one-shot Doom Shotgun is back but don’t be too concerned Infinity WardWarzone’s one-shot Doom Shotgun is back but players shouldn’t be too worried about the return of this devastating weapon. Warzone was marred with controversy when the Doom crossover bundle first arrived during the Al Mazrah era. On release, the Super Shotgun Blueprint for the Lockwood 300 dominated Warzone, with fans calling the whole BR experience “broken” due to how overpowered the weapon was. After all, what was intended to be a powerful short-range gun became a one-shot machine that could take down enemies and opponents from almost any range. However, following this initial controversy, the Doom Shotgun has found its way back into Warzone as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update. In saying this, the Doom Shotgun is not back in all Warzone game modes. After players first discovered its return on Loaded Resurgence, many were quick to confirm that the shotgun can not be brought back to its dominant form in any other game mode. CoD YouTuber ‘Shady‘ tested out the Doom Shotgun trick on regular Resurgence matches and reported back to the community that it is still in fact disabled for these types of matches. This mid-season patch once again enabled Maelstrom Dual TriggerAfter, in turn allowing the Shotgun to fire both slugs at the same time and once again turning the shotgun into a one-shot killing machine. Unlike the typical Warzone experience in which players have to find their weapons after they drop into a game, Loaded Resurgence allows players to drop in with their loadouts already equipped. Despite allowing players to enable Maelstrom Dual Trigger in Loaded Resurgence, using the Super Shotgun Blueprint or equipping it manually in the Gunsmith won’t give the weapon the same penetrating one-shot damage from any range. Instead, players must equip a different Blueprint that features the attachment, such as Steely Gaze, in order to restore the Doom Shotgun to its former glory. In saying this, don’t be surprised to see the dev team disable this workaround to equipping Maelstrom Dual Trigger on the Doom Shotgun in Loaded Resurgence in the coming weeks or days.

Warzone’s new ziplines are broken and leaving players stuck in mid-air – Dexerto
Warzone’s new ziplines are broken and leaving players stuck in mid-air ActivisionAt the start of Season 2, Warzone added Redeploy Balloons to Caldera to give players better rotation options around the map. The issue is, the zipline is ruining players’ matches completely by sticking them in mid-air. The Redeploy Balloon lets players travel up one of the ziplines dotted around the map and fly up it, eventually redeploying from the top to get further across Caldera in a reasonable time. The feature is hugely popular in Apex Legends, which has done a good job stealing some players away from Warzone in recent months, so it makes sense that Raven might want to implement something similar. The issue is, though, some players are facing serious issues with it, making them borderline unusable. One player, lakshya, reported that they got stuck at the top of a Redeploy Balloon — and many have come out saying they had the same experience. Lakshya was attempting to hunt down their bounty when they got to the top of the zipline and got stuck — meeting their bounty up there. This wasn’t an isolated incident, though. Many other players responded saying the same had happened to them, but the situation is actually even worse than it first seems. Players affected opted to wait it out and let the storm kill them, going to the Gulag and eventually redeploying. Some have reported, though, that after doing so, they were unable to apply plates, with the animation happening but no extra protection actually coming, essentially ruining the rest of the game completely. This is no doubt something that Raven will want to address sooner rather than later — if they want the Redeploy Balloon to be a viable method of mobility in Warzone, letting players get stuck at the top of them is a surefire way to make them useless and make players avoid them completely.

Warzone’s new T-Pose assassination is the game’s most spectacular glitch yet – Dexerto
Warzone’s new T-Pose assassination is the game’s most spectacular glitch yet ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone has a history of infuriating bugs, but a new one is absolutely delightful. Due to some bizarre glitch in the matrix, players have discovered you can pull off a literal T-Pose assassination. Some people like Warzone for its realism and others like it for its more arcade elements. Some like to sweat for wins and kills, others like to troll and annoy people with “BM” (bad manners). Well, the latter camp has now been blessed by a new bug in Verdansk. If you’ve grown bored of simply teabagging and shooting bodies, how does a T-Pose teleportation assassination sound? Probably too good to be true. But it is true and it is as weird as it is magnificent. As Warzone streamer and tourney player Frozone discovered, there’s an allegedly Operator-based glitch that breaks — in the best way possible — the animations for your execution. No shot 😭 We got T-Pose assassinations in Warzone now?? (via @Frozone)pic.twitter.com/n4memN6H50 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) August 22, 2021 As you can see, Fro manages to stun an enemy, setting them up for the obnoxious assassination. But once the animation starts, both players are perfectly still, standing upright, as the victim teleports in T-Pose and suddenly poofs into death. A literal T-Pose teleportation execution, you can’t make this stuff up. And how do people feel about the new bug? Reactions are mixed, with some scared to death and others fully enamored. Mostly though, people just think it’s hilarious — with some even hoping Warzone’s devs will add it to the game for real. While no one can be exactly positive what’s causing this glitch to happen, some have mentioned that it’s likely due to something with the Charly Operator. At the moment, though, this glitchy execution has not been added to Raven Software’s Trello board, so it’s likely that they haven’t added it to the list of broken features just yet. That’s good news if you’re interested in doing some T-Pose trolling yourself.

Warzone’s new Sai weapon apparently makes your footsteps silent – Dexerto
Warzone’s new Sai weapon apparently makes your footsteps silent ActivisionWarzone players have found that the new Sai weapon apparently makes your footsteps completely silent, but it might only be for the person wielding the blades. Despite its massive success and popularity, Warzone has had its fair share of issues with bugs, hackers, and exploits. Drop into a game on Verdansk and you’re as likely to get shot by an aimbotting hacker from the other side of Stadium as you are to find that the audio doesn’t work when someone is sneaking up behind you. Well, now, it appears a new issue has arisen with the new Sai melee weapon as it appears to give you a “permanent Dead Silence.” However, that might only be for the person who holds the blades. Since the release of the Sai, some Warzone players have reported that you don’t give off any noise when tactical sprinting, seemingly allowing you to have Dead Silence whenever you have the melee weapon equipped. Warzone player evsorr highlighted the unusual find with a clip from a game where, as he ran around Airport, he was pretty quiet. Now, he didn’t get into any fights with enemies, but players were a bit taken back by the lack of footsteps heard on his end at least. Some suggested that enemies might be able to hear him, but with it being a bit like Dead Silence on his end – blocking out many of the game’s noises – the weapon might give you a slight advantage in finding enemies and getting around the map. Other players have reported that they’ve fallen victim to enemies who are running around with the Sai and haven’t had any audio cues, so its hard to nail down just how game-breaking of an issue this might be. Of course, if it does become some permanent Dead Silence style exploit, Raven will likely have to jump into action but with Vanguard around the corner, who knows if these types of issues will get addressed before then.

Warzone’s new “OP” Combat Scout perk gives players temporary wall hacks – Dexerto
Warzone’s new “OP” Combat Scout perk gives players temporary wall hacks ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are fighting harder than ever before with the Season 5 update, however, the latest shift in the perk meta has already proven to be controversial. Season Five of Warzone has begun, ushering in a wave of challenges with weapons and rewards to be earned. Activision’s battle royale has been at the center of a brutal hacking wave, with players from both the casual and professional scene alike moving over to rival titles. Top streamers NICKMERCS and TimTheTatMan have been leading the way forward, taking their talents over to Respawn’s Apex Legends. However, plenty of other players are still unsure about making the leap to a different battlefield. Yet, the arrival of a polarizing perk into the Warzone meta won’t be bringing these players back anytime soon either. Warzone perk makes players virtually unstoppable Introduced with the arrival of Season Five, players can now equip the new perk: Combat Scout. Described as recon perk, players can highlight and with some damage dealt, ping opponents automatically. While your teammates won’t be able to see rivals through walls, the user can temporarily view the location of their foe behind cover. Players teaming up with their buddies will surely be using this as an effective method of flushing rivals out of cover. To add even more heat onto what has been dubbed as “Walls” by disgruntled fans, by sitting in perk slot three, this leaves any loadout open to the inclusion of Cold Blooded and Ghost. Players may decide to opt for alternative perks, but the rising meta includes both of the latter and Combat Scout in one seemingly overpowered loadout. As Cold Blooded and Ghost aid to avoid detection via UAVs and on a Heartbeat Sensor, this concerning combination has already produced some devastating feeds. https://twitter.com/Slowskrr/status/1426081138636988416?s=20 There will be players out there reveling in the destructive opportunities the meta presents, but others are less than impressed. RØKKR Smixie has already taken to Twitter to voice her worries about Combat Scout’s effect on Warzone, and plenty of others have joined her. The Combat Scout perk is the most idiotic thing they could have done. — Drakota (@DrakotaTV) August 13, 2021 https://twitter.com/OfficialWarrenG/status/1426043220740427777 Wait wait wait.. every video I saw said combat scout was a 2 perk slot so you’d have to give up ghost.. ITS SLOT 3?!?! Welp cold blooded on every class I guess.. gotta dodge these legal wall hacks somehow.. — YA DEAD 🦉 (@MIST8K3N) August 13, 2021 How to counter Combat Scout Combat Scout’s dominating grip on Warzone is young, which means players are already figuring out the best way to counter it. While there isn’t a way to avoid getting pinged, players can get some forewarning on what suspecting foes lay waiting in the distance. The best way to do this is to equip High Alert. This tried and tested perk allows players to receive a visual warning when an opponent has them in their crosshairs. Be warned, however, as using High Alert comes at the cost of replacing Warzone essential Ghost. Naturally, as a new season unfolds, there should be some eventual nerfs. However, there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight for Combat Scout’s reign of terror as Season Five has only just begun.

Warzone’s new map name has been hiding in plain sight since Modern Warfare – Dexerto
Warzone’s new map name has been hiding in plain sight since Modern Warfare ActivisionWarzone’s new Pacific map – known as Caldera and dropping on December 8 – has actually been hiding under players’ noses since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in the form of a weapon blueprint. For the first time in the Warzone’s history, we will be getting a full-scale battle royale map not based on the original Verdansk that dropped way back in March 2020. Caldera has been confirmed by Raven and Activision – a massive Pacific environment bringing luscious mountains and sun-soaked rainforests to Warzone. It will launch on December 8 for players who own this year’s title, Call of Duty: Vanguard. Those who don’t will have to wait an extra 24 hours for it to launch. However, CoD players have now realized that the new map has been hiding under the noses of players for over a year. Redditor ‘Rubinsk‘ shared an image of the Caldera blueprint of the VLK Rogue shotgun, which was released back in the Spring of 2020 as one of Modern Warfare and Warzone’s DLC weapons. It is a legendary version of the shotgun, and comes equipped with Dragon Breath rounds. Its description reads: “Burn them to the ground with the Caldera Shotgun and make sure they’re good and crispy with the all-new Dragon’s Breath Rounds.” The Redditor themself commented: “Found this on the store. Coincidence? I think not.” It does appear to have been one of the first clues players received for Caldera, with the gun launching in April of 2020. As much as it’s a little easter egg, it also shows the time and dedication Raven have invested into the new map, with suggestions it has been worked on for well over a year. Players are incredibly excited for the map to drop, and they don’t have much longer to wait.

Warzone’s most “underwhelming” weapons set to become meta in Season 6 – Dexerto
Warzone’s most “underwhelming” weapons set to become meta in Season 6 ActivisionSome of Warzone’s most “underwhelming” guns are set to become meta in Season 6 as Modern Warfare 2 weapons should see a big boost. Even though Black Ops 6 is on the horizon, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are still getting some big changes. MW3 Season 6 has already been teased, with the Haunting event set to hit Warzone. On the multiplayer side of things, two new guns will be added. These are the DTIR 30-06 Battle Rifle and Kastov LSW LMG. Of course, they’ll be usable in the battle royale too, but the more interesting tidbit for that is the likelihood of some big changes to Modern Warfare 2 weapons. That’s according to WhosImmortal as he dissected what is set to come in Season 6 during his September 11 video. “Arguably the largest element of this global meta update is the buffs across the board to those less competitive options,” he said. “This means they are likely going to target a lot of MW2 weapons. Obviously, this past year, the metas season after season have been dominated by Modern Warfare 3 weapons. We would, occasionally, have one decent MW2 weapon and then it would get nerfed a week later. They’re largely not competitive, largely underwhelming and I would expect buffs to those weapons to bring up their damage values, ideally their handling values.” Timestamp of 3:43 As he notes, we have seen guns like the M4, RAAL, and Lachmann Sub all work their way back into being competitive recently. However, there is such an arsenal of other weapons below those that are simply an afterthought. The Warzone guru also noted that this final meta update is likely to change one-shot snipers as well. “These bolt-action MW2 snipers that you have to run explosive ammo on, they’re going to take away the requirement for explosive ammo to one-shot,” he continued. WhosImmortal also added that it is “a bummer” that the change is “happening so late” in the MW3 cycle. However, it is a much-needed one.

Warzone’s Kar98 will return in Season 4 but fans only want one version – Dexerto
Warzone’s Kar98 will return in Season 4 but fans only want one version ActivisionThe Call of Duty devs have confirmed that Warzone’s most iconic sniper, the Kar98, will be making a return in Season 4 and players have already demanded that it be one specific version of the weapon. Over the last few years, Warzone has been dominated by a handful of weapons. The DMR and Renetti metas are remembered fondly by some members of the community, while others still get a cold chill down the spine at the mere mention of them. There is one gun that has stood above them all though, and that’s the Kar98k. The rifle first appeared in the original Warzone and could regularly be heard downing enemies across Verdansk. Those old builds with the sniper scope, Pine Tar Grip, and Sport Comb stock are fondly remembered. A number of Warzone players have attempted to recreate the Kar across both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, but they haven’t felt the same. So, it’s good news for everyone who wants the sniper back, as it’s finally making a return in Season 4. Prior to dropping the teaser trailer for Season 4, the Call of Duty devs dug up an old tweet from one fan that asked for the return of the KAR98 now that Rebirth Island has made it’s way back into the map pool. The devs’ reply was a simple “K,” which sent the community into a frenzy. Then, in the teaser trailer, a quick glance at the sniper’s stock and body is shown. Naturally, fans quickly their attention to which iteration of the Kar it could be, begging for the devs to add the Modern Warfare 2019 version of the gun, rather than the one from Call of Duty: Vanguard. “It has to be good otherwise no one will be happy. It can’t be anything like the Vanguard kar98,” one fan said. “I hope it’s the MW2019 version and not the Vanguard version,” another added. “If it’s that dogs*it version from Vanguard I’m going to LOSE IT,” commented another fan. We’ll just have to wait and see which way the devs decide to go with the Kar, seeing as the previous leaks haven’t given much indication.

Warzone’s most game-breaking glitch yet refuses to load the map at all – Dexerto
Warzone’s most game-breaking glitch yet refuses to load the map at all ActivisionWarzone’s laundry list of problems continues to add up, and now some players have experienced an obscure bug that causes the entire Caldera map to remain invisible. Call of Duty players are waiting patiently for the arrival of the next major update to hit Vanguard, as fresh weapon updates will keep the meta interesting. However, perhaps even more important will be the bug fixes and quality of life changes, as glitches continue to hinder the Caldera experience. Now, one of the strangest glitches yet sees an unlucky lobby spawn into a blank void, where Caldera used to be. Warzone’s Caldera spawns player into a blank void Redditor u/mattarnold1994 suffered a brutal fate within the gulag, as Caldera’s textures were absent from the game. With only the remains of a waterfall and some foliage initially, this player’s attempt to return was almost thwarted by Warzone’s inability to function. The gulag match itself seemed to hide walls and any other surroundings, while still retaining collision barriers for the player and firearms. Weirdly, eliminating their enemy rectified the seriously absurd issue. It’s unclear if enemy players were also experiencing this floating nothingness, or if this solo player was just at a massive disadvantage. “That is so broken” commented Redditor u/Nintendo_Pro_03. To anyone watching the kill-cam, it may have appeared that this player was using exploits to win their way back into the game. “Nice wall hax” another player added, joking that this glitch actually has the unintended benefit of seeing players through walls – because there are no walls. This particular issue seems to be a rarity for the time being, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it becomes more common. Outside of Caldera, players can still hop into Rebirth Island, but even that map is still plagued by players with outlandish loadouts dominating the meta. The instability of Warzone is troubling, that even seasoned streamers like TimTheTatman are contemplating quitting the game forever.

Warzone’s MORS nerf is a good first step to balance meta, but more is needed – Dexerto
Warzone’s MORS nerf is a good first step to balance meta, but more is needed ActivisionThe recent nerf to the MORS is certainly going to alter the Warzone meta, but it’s not enough to completely change it back to favoring AR’s and SMG’s. Since its release as part of the Season 3 launch, the MORS sniper rifle has been dominating the meta in Warzone in a way that snipers never have. Its penetration capabilities and powerful shots made it so that, with the right attachments to boost those stats, players could one-shot each other through walls on a consistent basis. Of course, many people were not thrilled with this development and felt like this was too much power and it wasn’t fair to be shot through such thick materials while taking cover. Fortunately, for those people, the MORS has been hit with a nerf to change it. The nerf is aimed at the penetration of the MORS, and the details are as follows: Reduced penetration on base weapon – Photonic Charge Barrel will no longer provide uncapped penetration – Reduced penetration multiplier provided by HVP Anti-Materiel Slug Ammo – The goal is to have the MORS still be just as powerful as it was for a target out in the open, but now, shooting someone through a wall will be less likely to result in a one-shot kill. Many Warzone fans are not happy with this change, with one user on the game’s subreddit saying, “Just when we finally had a fun sniper.” However, this isn’t necessarily true, as the meta isn’t going to change because of this. Sure, the MORS is going to be a little less powerful in some situations, but not enough to make it completely useless on the battlefield. Warzone has a lot of open areas on every map, meaning that having a gun like the MORS will still net you plenty of kills. Perhaps the penetration can still be powerful for thinner materials like wood, but not allowing shots to go, full-force, through cement is totally fine. This nerf is opening the doors for more weapons to emerge in the meta, allowing more AR’s and SMG’s to become powerful options, while still having the MORS be more than viable. In fact, an argument could be made that the MORS needs more nerfs to make it less dominant. Yes, a good sniper rifle makes the game more fun, but having one weapon that can dominate so much is not healthy for the game. There needs to be more variety to the meta than just one gun that can kill someone with one shot; it’s just not a fun experience for the larger community. So while this nerf is a good thing, there is more to do and the devs should keep looking into making the MORS a little more balanced. Keep the MORS’ power where it’s at, but reduce its range. Give it some more recoil to make lining up multiple shots in a row a little more difficult. These are just possibilities of what can be done to give it more balance without sacrificing what makes it fun to use. It’s great to have snipers having some time in the spotlight, but Warzone is better off with the MORS losing some penetration, and more in the future. In time, the meta – and the players – will be thankful for it.

Warzone’s meta Bren loadout becomes even better with underused attachment – Dexerto
Warzone’s meta Bren loadout becomes even better with underused attachment ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Warzone meta has settled on the Bren LMG, but there’s one attachment players might be using wrong. As shown by a CoD streamer, the gun can become even more of a laser with a simple change. After the Automaton got nerfed into the ground, the Bren surged in popularity. It hits like a truck and controls like a coupe, making it a terror in long-range gunfights. Most Warzone players have adopted a similar loadout for the LMG, based on popular builds among casuals and the game’s pros. Even just looking at attachment pick rates, it seems that the Bren class is basically unanimous. If you want even tighter recoil, though, there is a change you can make. As ModernWarzone revealed based on testing, an underutilized Stock might be better for a number of players. Warzone meta Bren loadout improved by one attachment Comparing the different stocks on a “meta” Bren build in #Warzone. Hockenson DOES have side to side bounce, but compared to the others is marginally better with much less downsides. Use what you want, but don’t say I’m lying about the results I publish.pic.twitter.com/p1wbYWDeGR — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) January 3, 2022 As you can see in the clip from MWZ, the Hockenson SP2B Stock actually has a tighter recoil pattern than the “meta” Queen’s Model 11 BH. This goes contrary to the belief of most players, as the Queen’s Model has become the preferred option for many. Looking at the pick rates, the Queen’s Model is used on 61.9% of Bren loadouts, while the Hockenson is used on just 20.9% of them. This may feel somewhat surprising, given how much more tightly clustered the Hockenson’s recoil pattern seems to be in MWZ’s test. In the picture above, the first three (left to right) recoil patterns are all the Hockenson, the fourth is the Queen’s Model, and the last two are both Oak & Shield Stocks. It’s an interesting comparison, as the Hockenson definitely seems to have a tighter spread compared to the Queen’s serpentine pattern. Of course, recoil control is ultimately about the player’s feel first and foremost. Many prefer the Queen because it shoots in a straighter line and you can adapt to its swaying recoil pattern. The Hockenson, by contrast, does shoot in a relatively straight line – but it has some side-to-side bounce along the way. If you’re not fully comfortable with the Queen’s S-shaped recoil pattern, then the Hockenson’s straight, but bouncy pattern will feel much better.

Warzone streamer Fifakill’s new MCW loadout is bringing the close-range meta back – Dexerto
Warzone streamer Fifakill’s new MCW loadout is bringing the close-range meta back ActivisionThe MCW’s conversion kit makes it a close-range assassin in Warzone, and streamer Fifakill believes they found the best setup for Resurgence modes. When it comes to Warzone, the MCW’s success hasn’t transferred over that well, with plenty of viable primary weapons taking the top spot. It doesn’t help the secondary slot is full of heavy hitters as well, with SMGs dominating the space. However, Warzone streamer Fifakill looks to have found the best close-range option in Warzone, with the help of the MCW that’ll combat SMGs and dominate Ranked lobbies everywhere. Here’s the class the creator uses, shared to their Twitter/X account. Optic: Quartes Classic Reflex – Magazine: 40 Round Mag – Conversion Kit: Jak Raven Kit – Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider – This JAK Raven Kit setup isn’t particularly new, as fellow creators like Metaphor and JGOD recommended running this setup back in Season 1. The reason is that the JAK Raven kit had some of the best time-to-kill in close-range scenarios, outgunning some of the best SMGs in the same distance. However, plenty of nerfs have hit the rifle hard since the game arrived. Yet, Fifakill’s “best close-range option” brings it back to the Season 1 standard, especially great for Resurgence Ranked Play. Bear in mind you’ll want to have a strong primary to round out this class since this Warzone MCW build will be nearly unusable outside of close-quarters engagement in Warzone. Recommended primaries would be the SOA Subverter, the RAM-7, or even the Pulemyot 762.

Warzone’s main battle royale mode is apparently “ruined” for casual players – Dexerto
Warzone’s main battle royale mode is apparently “ruined” for casual players ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players believe the Verdansk BR mode is now “ruined” for casual players thanks to cheaters, with many moving over to Rebirth Island and Plunder modes as a result. Warzone has, for quite sometime now, been dealing with a hacking problem. It’s nigh on impossible to have a session of games and not have at least one ruined by cheats. A number of players have started to ditch the CoD battle royale in favor of Apex Legends and other titles, but there are plenty still grinding away, hoping that things get straightened out. Though, not everyone can dedicate hours to grinding the battle royale. Some players only have a few games in them during the week due to commitments elsewhere and for these players, playing on Verdank has become difficult. Warzone fan YourMumsPal claimed that the Verdansk BR mode is “nearly inaccessible” for casual players given it’s impossible to distinguish between hackers and good players, as well as having little time grind the new Cold War weapons. “You get annihilated in 2-3 seconds by a player with a Krig shooting uphill from halfway across the map – maybe he’s just a great shot or maybe he has an aimbot,” they said. It’s impossible to distinguish in most cases.” Other players quickly agreed with their assessment but believe the issues stem from more than just cheaters. The “zero recoil” assault rifles are also to blame, according to some, as is the increased difficulty in leveling up weapons. “One of the main reasons for all of your issues is that Warzone was ruined by the Cold War integration,” added one player, who noted that ever since Cold War took over Warzone, the battle royale has become a “s**tshow.” Another added: “Haven’t played since the new map came out, ruined it for me.” Others suggested that a permanent switch to Rebirth is the answer. “Facts, I moved to Rebirth and never looked back,” said one. “I refuse to play Verdansk and only play rebirth to play with friends as it’s more casual and less time-consuming if we do find a cheater or have a bad drop,” added another. Of course, some fans still love Verdansk, it is the game’s original home after all. However, there appears to be a growing sentiment that maybe the battle royale is better off without it.

Warzone’s “Lethal Luxury” Operator skin is pay-to-lose with broken visual glitch – Dexerto
Warzone’s “Lethal Luxury” Operator skin is pay-to-lose with broken visual glitch ActivisionMany Warzone players like to show their support for the game by purchasing in-game skins, but this broken cosmetic is actually obscuring their vision during matches after buying it. Skins have caused plenty of controversy in Warzone since the move over to Caldera. The infamous invisible skin wreaked havoc in the early days of the new map, while the Attack on Titan Levi bundle was largely mocked by fans. Now, shortly after the start of Season 2, another Warzone skin appears to be completely broken in-game. Only this time, it’s actually putting those who purchased it at a severe disadvantage during matches. The Lethal Luxury Tracer Pack is currently available from the store for 2,400 CoD Points. This is the only way to get hold of the Lethal Luxury skin for the Operator Padmavati, and it cannot be unlocked via the Season 2 Battle Pass. However, as pointed out by Reddit user OM_Jesus, the skin is causing serious problems. From the clip posted we can see that wearing the skin during matches is seriously impacting visibility. The furry white cap donned by the Operator continuously slips in and out of the player’s vision, at a rate that is distracting at best and downright unplayable at worst. It’s not hard to imagine how this would make gunfights incredibly difficult. Since this is a $20 skin, you argue that it’s essentially ‘pay-to-lose’ until it is fixed. Other Warzone players responded slamming the developers for the broken skin. “Do they test any f*****g thing in this game before pushing it out the door?” Many even questioned the decision to spend money on the game right now, after so many bugs and glitches. “Why would you sink money into a game that is in such disarray?” replied Ciccio178. It’s highly likely that Raven will push out a fix for this very soon. But until then we recommend that players be cautious when thinking about buying the skin, or that those who have already unlocked it wait to equip it in-game.

Warzone’s latest anti-cheat measures are finally getting hackers angry – Dexerto
Warzone’s latest anti-cheat measures are finally getting hackers angry ActivisionThe Call of Duty Warzone cheating community is livid following recent efforts by Infinity Ward to crack down on hackers with shadowbans and two-factor authentication. In what is one of gaming’s most cathartic experiences, the hackers who have been ruining Warzone lobbies have finally gotten what’s coming to them, and they’re furious about it. While sharing the sites in which hacks are sold is forbidden on the official Warzone subreddit, users have begun sharing reactions of cheaters who now find themselves shadowbanned from the BR without any recourse. With Infinity Ward now requiring two-step SMS authentication for all new PC users, the most popular tool for circumventing punishment has now been slashed. This, in combination with IW’s implementation of shadowbans for hackers, has broken the spirits (and the pockets) of the cheating community. “Now I can never play Warzone again because the account that had my phone number on it is shadowbanned!” an anonymous but confessed-cheater said. “And you have to have a valid phone number to play the game! By far worst service I’ve bought and a big regret of mine.” Security Update: We have initiated two-step SMS authentication for new #Warzone PC users, who log in as free to play as another step to provide an additional layer of security for players. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) May 12, 2020 Turns out that there are many reactions similar to that one; these guys are “very, very displeased” and those tears, salty as they may be, are music to the ears of those who play the game fairly. In the past, cheaters could receive a ban after ruining lobbies and then comfortably just swap to a new free account. Already breaking bank on codes, those desperate for cheesy kills now need to throw ducats at new phones too. In another instance, grabbed by ‘berdxD’ on Reddit, a hacker complains that “obviously online disposable numbers aren’t helping out, and detaching my actual number and attaching it to multiple accounts doesn’t work either.” They finish their whining rant by asking if there is “any way to bypass this?” No word yet on if anyone has responded that the only remaining way to bypass their issues is to get better at the game, fairly. Infinity Ward have generally tried to remain unpredictable in their efforts to curb hackers, as that’s typically the best way to protect against punishment. They caught a lot of players by surprise when they recently implemented a change that put suspected hackers in the same lobbies together. And this move, banning phone numbers instead of accounts, was no exception, as they dropped it suddenly without anyone knowing what was coming. For now, continue to report these cheaters while they slowly but surely realize they’re shadowbanned by spending hours in queue looking for a match.

Warzone’s latest aftermarket part can one-shot enemies but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Warzone’s latest aftermarket part can one-shot enemies but there’s a catch ActivisionBased on previous Call of Duty titles, Akimbo shotguns usually dominate, but Warzone’s JAK Devastators mark a rare exception. In Season 4 Reloaded, Sledgehammer Games re-introduced the iconic SPAS-12 shotgun under a new name, Reclaimer 18. Despite being successful in other titles, the devastating pump action shotgun hasn’t reached those same heights in Warzone. Both fast-firing SMGs, the Static-HV and Striker, outclass the poor mobility shotgun, and impressive damage stats don’t make up for its pitfalls. Some players predicted the JAK Devastators conversion kit would resolve that issue since it makes the shotgun akimbo, letting you wield two simultaneously for more firepower. At first glance, it looked as though those predictions came true. CoD content creator Goomie discovered that each shotgun deals 180 damage, meaning you can tap both for a one-shot kill up to 2.3 meters. However, Activision warned players that “accuracy and recoil control is minimal” while dual-wielding the Reclaimer 18s but assured players that “destruction is maximized.” And it doesn’t help that this maximum destruction range only extends to 2.3 meters, limiting this conversion kit. Warzone Loadout argued that it’s hard to hit anything after this range because of accuracy issues. Goomie explained, “It has that potential, but it seems useless outside that point-blank distance. And with its super awkward fire rate, it seems more of a niche fun type of gun.” As a result, we expect the Static-HV to hold on to its top spot as the battle royale’s best short-range weapon. According to WZ Ranked, the Static-HV leads all guns with a 27 percent pick rate, which is better than the next most popular gun by nine percentage points. The JAK Devastators helped propel the Reclaimer 18 into becoming Warzone’s ninth most popular option, but it most likely won’t gain any more steam than that. Players will still have fun up close and personal but don’t expect a game-changing experience. If you still need to unlock the conversion kit, you can check out our guide on how to do so.

Warzone’s killstreaks and vehicles now interact in a new way – Dexerto
Warzone’s killstreaks and vehicles now interact in a new way Infinity WardA hidden change in the latest Warzone update has tweaked how killstreaks and vehicles interact in the battle royale mode. Several tweaks seem to have snuck through in the latest Call of Duty Warzone update, without being addressed in the full patch notes. From a surprise RPG buff, to a Combat Knife change that will have you reconsidering your loadout. Killstreaks have now been targeted as well, as a surprising new change alters their interaction with vehicles. Since the release of Warzone on March 10, killstreaks and vehicles acted independently. If players wanted to use a UAV for instance, they would need to quickly step out of any given vehicle to trigger it. That is no longer the case due to a surprising change that went unannounced in the latest update according to Raven Software Creative Director Amos Hodge. “Did you notice a small little change to vehicles in Warzone? Passengers can now use kill streaks while in a vehicle!” Did you notice a small little change to vehicles in #Warzone? Passengers can now use kill streaks while in a vehicle! — Amos Hodge (@wendellwobble) April 16, 2020 From helicopters to SUVs, players can now activate their killstreaks from inside any of Warzone’s five vehicles. Well, so long as they’re not in the driver’s seat, that is. This means that you can rain down destruction from above with a Cluster Strike all while safely moving through the map in a car with your team. Or you could even activate an advanced UAV from the skies as players trigger their streaks while in a helicopter. This slight change may appear small on paper, but it could prove to have major ramifications in the pace of Warzone moving forward. There’s no telling why such a change was excluded from the April 8 patch notes, but expect to see killstreaks used much more haphazardly now that they can be called in on the fly. Plenty of other changes also made their way through in the latest update without being shared. Here’s a full rundown on everything you may have missed.

Warzone’s invisible skin bug already popping up again despite new patch – Dexerto
Warzone’s invisible skin bug already popping up again despite new patch ActivisionWarzone’s controversial invisible skin bug appears to be back in effect despite the January 5 update that claimed to fix the issue. Since Warzone’s highly anticipated swap to the Pacific-based Caldera map, one particular glitch has stood out from the mountain of issues. The tier 100 Battle Pass skin had been running rampant due to an invisibility bug. Despite being labeled as “pay to win” and ruining its fair share of matches, it took three weeks before a fix was deployed. A January 5 update seemingly resolved the disappearing textures for the Awoken Francis Operator skin. Now, though, the bug may have spread to another skin; players have spotted a different Operator vanishing in thin air, no different to the previous glitch. Playing through a Quads game in Caldera, Reddit user ‘andrewkbmx’ noticed something out of the ordinary. As they turned towards the sound of footsteps, they spotted a floating head in the distance. Rather than the Francis Operator, this time it was the Wraith Operator that appeared partially invisible. Just their head, neck, and weapons appeared in-game. Everything else failed to load in. As part of the Season 3 Battle Pass, this character was introduced all the way back in April, 2021. Almost a year later and only now is the skin disappearing across various lobbies in Warzone. Despite the issue, the invisible parts of the skin could still be shot at. This led to an easy kill in one instance, though there’s no doubt others wouldn’t be so lucky. There’s currently no telling just how widespread the new invisible skin is. It may be exclusive to just one platform or perhaps even a certain loadout is what triggers the bug. Developers are yet to respond and the latest glitch is yet to fall under their microscope, according to the official Warzone Trello board. We’ll be sure to keep you updated here if another fix is released. For now, you’ll have to be extra careful knowing invisible players are running amok once again.

Warzone’s invisible gun glitch is giving players nightmares – Dexerto
Warzone’s invisible gun glitch is giving players nightmares ActivisionYou can’t get rid of something you can’t see, and Warzone has seen invisibility glitches in many different forms but this new one is certain to catch you by surprise and frustrate players. Warzone has its fair share of new issues when it comes to bugs and glitches, but invisibility is an old friend for many players. The game has seen invisibility nearly every season and it has had an impact on the way things are added into the game. One of the latest versions allowed players to go invisible and undetected, which creates a huge disadvantage to players obvious to this glitch. This new bug will have you wondering if your weapons are actually from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Warzone has new invisibility “camo” for weapons Warzone has been haunted by this latest glitch that prevents players from being able to see their gun while they have it equipped, which basically translates to players holding air while roaming Verdansk. Players have been reporting that when they drop in their starting weapon, any ground loot weapon, and loadout classes are not showing on their screen and they are left with just their hands. There have been some players saying that it takes a couple of seconds for their gun to load in, while others suggest it has something to do with your graphic settings. It’s unknown at the time what causes this to happen but not all players are letting this glitch hold them back from dominating Warzone. ‘RevelatioN21SIX’ on Reddit posted an insane clip he hit while this glitch was affecting his loadout, proving that this new glitch doesn’t ultimately hinder your in-game performance. His gun hadn’t loaded in quite yet but that didn’t stop him from killing an enemy on a roof. However, you see that after a few seconds his gun model does pop up on his screen and he takes down another opponent. It’s clear that this isn’t to be considered game-breaking but can definitely hurt your chances in a gunfight if you have to wait a couple of seconds for your gun to load, so you can see your crosshair and reticle.

Warzone’s integration with Black Ops 6 brings beloved weapon skin tier for first time – Dexerto
Warzone’s integration with Black Ops 6 brings beloved weapon skin tier for first time ActivisionWarzone’s integration with Black Ops 6 makes history for the Call of Duty Battle Royale. Mastery Camos exclusive to the free-to-play title have been confirmed for the new era. Another year means another CoD game which in turn, means another overhaul for Warzone. The ongoing BR has seen plenty of highs and lows since its 2020 release, and the upcoming cycle with Black Ops 6 looks to be a step in the right direction. With Omnimovement coming over, new maps on the way, as well as the return of Verdansk, there’s plenty to be excited about. Now, we know for certain the next transition is set to make a bit of history for the Battle Royale. While Mastery Camos – the highest-tier of weapon skin in any CoD game – have long been exclusive to multiplayer and Zombies, that’s about to change. Warzone is now getting its very first batch of exclusive Mastery Camos, as announced at the 2024 CoD Next event. Although players have been able to take their multiplayer or Zombies camos over to Warzone, the Black Ops 6 integration will be the first time in CoD history that new Mastery Camos can be earned directly in the Battle Royale. Four Mastery Camos have been revealed for the integration scheduled for Season 1 in Black Ops 6 – roughly a month after the game’s October 25 release date. The new camos are as follows: Gold Tiger, King’s Ransom, Catalyst, and Abyss. Gold Tiger Mastery Camo King’s Ransom Mastery Camo Catalyst Mastery Camo Abyss Mastery Camo Currently, there’s further information as to how these Mastery Camos may be unlocked in Warzone. If they’re anything like previous Mastery Camos across multiplayer and Zombies, however, players are in store for some of the toughest, most time-consuming challenges the BR has to offer. While the first two are status, Catalyst and Abyss are both animated camos with unique visual effects. We’ll just have to wait and see what the specific challenges are when Black Ops 6 is out in full and Season 1 follows it close behind. In the meantime, you can get some practice in with the game’s new arsenal of weapons as the Beta comes into focus.

Warzone’s infamous underground loadout glitch is back with a bizarre twist – Dexerto
Warzone’s infamous underground loadout glitch is back with a bizarre twist ActivisionWarzone’s underground loadout glitch is a familiar sight for veteran players, but there is now an extra bizarre twist to the story after the problem resurfaced on Caldera. From PPSH-41 builds with perfect hip-fire accuracy to AR setups that are deadlier than ever, Warzone players have enough threats to worry about around the map without their own loadout drops taking them on a scavenger hunt — but that’s exactly what’s happening in Caldera right now. One player caught proof of exactly what’s going on and has taken to Reddit to share their findings with the rest of the world. The glitch was first noted on the Warzone subreddit when Andurill tracked the position of their personal drop on the mini-map. It’s clear as day to see that the drop starts much closer to the center of the map before traveling over 100 meters northeast with no obvious explanation as to what is causing it to move. They eventually caught up to the loadout, just to find it stuck deep underground, making it completely inaccessible and a huge waste of time to chase in the first place. This isn’t a one-time problem either. One user suggested that this has been happening to them anytime a free drop lands on high elevation at all: “Happens 100% of the time to me when free loadout comes and it’s anywhere near the top of [Caldera’s] peak.” Another commenter reaffirmed those claims and joked that this problem seems to rear its head exclusively when a new loadout would be ideal: “This s**t happens in the worst possible matches it seems.” One version of this problem was patched out of the game back in Verdansk but there’s no telling how long it might take for this variant to get sent back into the bug void.

Warzone’s infamous Gas Mask exploit is back for another year with a new twist – Dexerto
Warzone’s infamous Gas Mask exploit is back for another year with a new twist ActivisionDespite integrating with Modern Warfare 3 and starting a new era, it seems Warzone can’t escape its demons as the game’s infamous Gas Mask bug is back with a vengeance. Over the past few years, with each new annual installment in the CoD franchise, Warzone has jumped forward to integrate with the latest release. With new maps and gameplay mechanics coming into focus, it presents a yearly reset for the popular Battle Royale. Like clockwork, with this year’s drop of Modern Warfare 3, the Season 1 update gave Warzone its big refresh and while players are mostly having a blast with the new Urzikstan map, it certainly hasn’t arrived without its fair share of issues. While some bugs are brand new for this iteration, others might be familiar to some experienced players. In particular, one infamous Gas Mask bug that’s plagued the BR for years now, has once again returned in Warzone’s MW3 era. In previous years, players found ways to abuse the game’s Gas Mask item, enabling them to survive forever out in the noxious gas. Clearly not intended, devs have rushed to fix this issue multiple times over the years, though it just keeps creeping back. Now, it’s once again returned in 2023 though with a new look. Rather than one endless Gas Mask, the issue now stems from a duplication glitch. With players able to generate dozens of items on the fly, doing so with a Gas Mask lets you survive out in the wild for as long as you please. Obviously, this goes against the fundamentals of the BR experience. Surviving out in the gas for longer than intended may leave the last survivors in the circle scratching their head as to why they haven’t been declared the winners. As a result of the issue, many have been calling on the game’s devs to once again rush out a hotfix and remedy the problem as soon as they can. Shortly after the the exploit spread around the internet, the devs addressed the problem by rolling out an update fixing the exploit. “We’ve deployed an update to address an exploit that allowed players to remain in the Gas for significantly more time than originally intended,” reads the post from the CoD Updates account.

Warzone’s infamous demon gun glitch is now ruining Vanguard multiplayer – Dexerto
Warzone’s infamous demon gun glitch is now ruining Vanguard multiplayer Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone’s infamous demon gun glitch has suddenly started affecting players in Vanguard multiplayer, and it’s making it impossible to see enemies. Despite being one of the most popular battle royales in the genre, Warzone has established a reputation for its countless bugs and gameplay issues that constantly frustrate the player base. One of the most well-known bugs that never seems to disappear is the demon gun glitch, a graphical issue that causes objects to transform into a giant mass of spiky textures. This error can take place on a player’s gun, or even an enemy which makes them impossible to take down as they’re completely cloaked from sight. Well, unfortunately for Vanguard players, the glitch seems to have spilled over to multiplayer and is now running rampant in another Call of Duty title. Warzone’s demon gun glitch is running rampant in Vanguard Taking to the CODVanguard subreddit, user Fatal_Overflow revealed that a “severe texture bug” was making their game completely unplayable. Despite reinstalling texture caches, drivers, and the game, the problem continues to persist making it impossible to see enemies or navigate each of the maps. To any Warzone player, the bug will be instantly recognizable as it’s been a huge issue in the battle royale for a while, turning players and guns into a demonic mass of textures. For Fatal_Overflow, the glitch seems to mainly affect the terrain and in multiplayer, which means it’s basically pointless even queueing for a match. The appearance of this graphical issue in Vanguard will be disappointing for the community as the Warzone devs are yet to find a fix for the issue, despite it being around for multiple seasons. Hopefully, this bug can be patched out in the near future as it completely ruins the gameplay experience for players, especially in the fast-paced environment of Vanguard.

Warzone’s “god mode” hack has returned & is worse than ever – Dexerto
Warzone’s “god mode” hack has returned & is worse than ever ActivisionThe worst hack to ever surface on Warzone is back and worse than ever. In this version of “god mode,” the player not only has unlimited health, you can’t even shoot a bullet into them. If you thought killing a hacker was hard enough then you’re in for a gross treat with this new and improved Warzone hack. Raven Software said they banned over 50,000 hackers with their wave of July bans, but it appears that they may have missed some big ones. This new version of “god mode” is absolutely blowing people’s minds. Improved God mode hack drops into Verdansk Invincibility has been around Call of Duty games for years. In this version of “god mode,” a player can shoot as many bullets as they want at the hacker, but they’ll never even get a hitmarker or do any sort of damage. In this clip you see the player shooting numerous magazines into the hacker with “god mode” and none of them do any damage or register as hits. At one point you even see players attempting to assassinate the cheater but the player simply just stands back up and continues to kill everyone. One Redditor dNStreetMW said, “This is GG to Warzone. This cheat was just at a certain point soon to come and now it’s here. Godmode yea… GG Warzone game is done for.” While another Redditor by the name of Suitable-Dingo-3666 wants to see the ultimate game of Warzone, two “god mode” users in one lobby. It raises a solid point, if two players had that hack on what would happen to the game? Does it go on forever or will the gas eventually kill one of the hackers? In an older version of “god mode,” players would still be able to shoot the cheater and register bullets, but the other person would simply have way too much health to do much damage. Guy in Warzone had unlimited health. Even tried to assassinate him and he lived after. I was heated😡@CallofDuty @CODLeague @charlieINTEL @DavidVonderhaar @scump @Crimsix @DashySZN @Maven @NAMELESS pic.twitter.com/64Q98J3iUg — RTL (@Refusestolose) March 31, 2020 Hacking has been a huge problem in Warzone for quite some time now and the community is getting impatient for Activision to implement a proper anti-cheat system. Time will tell, but for now the community’s response continues to be negative until an adequate anti-cheat is implemented.

Warzone’s Gasoline Can is perfect counter for zipline campers – Dexerto
Warzone’s Gasoline Can is perfect counter for zipline campers ActivisionThere’s no worse feeling in Warzone than flying up a zipline and dying to a camper, but the new Gasoline Can could actually be the perfect counter to players who opt for such tactics. Warzone players were greeted with Caldera on December 8, bringing with it came over 40 weapons, new items, and more. One of the new items included a Gasoline Can which can be lit on fire and thrown at enemies as a unique way to kill them. It is an homage to the Thermite Grenades and Molotov Cocktails we’ve seen in plenty of past CoD titles. Warzone players discover perfect way to counter campers Another way players can use them is lighting them and sending them soaring up ziplines, creating a cheeky counter to campers or players who are simply positioned at the top of the ziplines. This Reddit post by ‘UnusualGenePool’ displays one of the best ways to use this new gas can item to clear out ziplines before ascending. In the clip, the player can be seen lighting the can on fire and then sending it up to explode at the top of the zipline. Even though they didn’t get a kill, it is an extremely helpful tool that players can use. It allows people to clear the top before even going up, making it considerably safer to hit a zip. However, the blast radius isn’t enormous so it only clears the immediate area that it takes you up. While people are still learning new things on the Warzone Pacific map, you might want to take advantage of this trick along as it can certainly reduce the likelihood of a zipline trip resulting in swift elimination.

Warzone’s game-breaking Halloween animations leave streamers speechless – Dexerto
Warzone’s game-breaking Halloween animations leave streamers speechless ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 6 Halloween Haunting has left some streamers absolutely spooked. Players like IceManIsaac and JoeWo are getting hard-countered by the event’s screen-stuffing animations. The mechanics in The Haunting’s Ghosts of Verdansk mode are different than they were in last year’s Zombies Royale. And the new Fear meter doesn’t seem to be trending well with fans. And it’s definitely not earning love from the game’s streamers, whose highlight plays are getting ruined in the mode. With Fear meter’s “hallucinations” covering your entire screen, some players are getting killed without even knowing what’s happening. To show just how wild these animations can be, let’s start with IceManIsaac. Trying to solo wipe a team, he kills one before the Fear meter ticks up and… the rest is history. Warzone streamers dumbstruck by Halloween animations As you can see in Isaac’s clip, he guns one player while playing Ring Around the Rosie. Then, preparing for the next kill, he gets shot, and, mid-finesse, a fiery skull flies forward and explodes across his entire screen. By the time the flames of the animated fire skull disperse, Isaac is downed and killed. He, at a loss for words, reacts with a simple thumbs up. We’ll let the reader decide if that gesture was performed sarcastically. And Isaac’s not the only one to get thwarted by the event. AverageJoeWo had just downed an enemy in his clip, only to get slapped with an… error animation? By the time the blue screen disappeared, Joe’s scenery had become blue skies — as he was killed and sent to the ghost realm. He, too, was left speechless, simply sitting there, mouth agape, seemingly wondering about the game’s betrayal. While the pros don’t know how to react to the Halloween event’s animations, fans have come up with their own responses. One user even called them “bowling-alley style,” appearing more annoyed with the graphic design than the mechanic itself.

Warzone’s game-breaking demon gun glitch returns with Pacific update – Dexerto
Warzone’s game-breaking demon gun glitch returns with Pacific update ActivisionFor a long time, Warzone players thought they were safe from the demon gun glitch, but it made yet another return in the Pacific update alongside the Caldera map, and it’s ruining people’s games. The demon gun glitch is one that most Warzone players will be familiar with. The insane graphical error causes weapons to look spiky, much bigger, and take up way more of the screen than they should. It’s not only incredibly ugly but it makes gunfights significantly more difficult, sometimes even taking up almost the entire screen and essentially rendering you and your weapon useless. The glitch actually disappeared from Warzone for months and, while it looked to be a thing of the past, has made its grand return with the Warzone Pacific Season 1 update. The launch of Warzone Pacific, which went live on December 8 for Vanguard owners, wasn’t without its issues, with top streamers like Dr Disrespect having big problems with it, as well as the likes of Aydan even threatening to quit the game over the implementation of new map Caldera. With players facing a number of issues and making various complaints about the huge update, the return of this bug only makes matters worse. In case you haven’t seen it before, the post below shows it in all its glory, making for a cool-looking yet infinitely unhelpful weapon, that only gets worse when you try to ADS to actually take down an enemy. The demon gun glitch has been in Warzone countless times before, and it doesn’t look to be willing to quit just yet. Hopefully, developers Raven are better equipped to deal with it now than ever before, and the bug should be a thing of the past once again before long. They’ve already addressed it on their Warzone Trello board, so it’s certainly on their radar.

Warzone’s fastest-killing loadout is “unbeatable” in Season 2 Reloaded – Dexerto
Warzone’s fastest-killing loadout is “unbeatable” in Season 2 Reloaded ActivisionA new fastest-killing loadout in Warzone is proving to be “unbeatable” according to one CoD expert, and it involves one of Modern Warfare 3’s newest guns. Over the last few weeks, the Warzone meta has been in a pretty diverse state. There hasn’t been one gun that rules the roost and players have been able to find success with plenty of different weapons. That has changed a little with the start of Season 2 Reloaded, as many players have been flocking to the MCW, Ram-9, and XRK Stalker following the recent round of weapon changes. The MCW has proven to be particularly popular amid claims it has been “overbuffed” with its Near-Mid Damage increase. The new season also marked the arrival of the SOA Subverter, and it’s quickly risen up the popularity charts. In fact, the battle rifle has proven to be so powerful that it’s a key part of the fastest-killing loadout in the battle royale. Warzone’s best TTK loadout for Season 2 Reloaded: SOA Subverter & AMR9 That’s according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal anyway, as he noted it’s got a TTK of just over 800ms in fights over 42 meters. That means it’s better than the likes of the Bruen MK9, and is equally easy to control. WhosImmortal also pairs the battle rifle with the ARM9, as the SMG’s TTK sits around 600ms in fights up to just over 20 meters. Together, he believes they are “unbeatable.” “In terms of the fastest TTK loadouts, if you pair the Subverter with the AMR9, there really isn’t a situation where you’ve got a slower TTK weapon than something else. These two absolutely thrive together,” the YouTuber noted. SOA Subverter Muzzle: Casus Brake L – Barrel: Dozer-90 Long Barrel – Stock: Motion-V2 Heavy Stock – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip – Magazine: 50 Round Drum – AMR9 Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash – Underbarrel: SL Skeletal Vertical Grip – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Stock: Demo D50 Buffer Tube – Magazine: 50 Round Mag – Given that the SOA Subverter has only just been added to the mix, it’s no surprise that it has proven to be strong right off the bat. That is typically the story with new guns. The battle rifle is likely to be nerfed before long but for now, you may as well get struck right in.

Warzone’s ‘Eagles Nest’ idea would be perfect Resurgence map for Warzone 2 – Dexerto
Warzone’s ‘Eagles Nest’ idea would be perfect Resurgence map for Warzone 2 ActivisionCall of Duty players are eager for Warzone 2 to implement a revamped Resurgence map, with one concept proving to be a hit with passionate players. Warzone has seen its environment change drastically since launching in March 2020. Players have battled it out in the streets of Verdansk, the jail cells of Rebirth Island, mountains of Caldera, and the tropical paradise of Fortune’s Keep. Players have become fond of Rebirth Island and its place within the popular Resurgence playlist, with streamers like Nadia suggesting how the game can revitalize the experience. Modern Warfare 2 will usher in Warzone 2.0 along with its main map Al Mazrah, but some players are eager to see a fresh idea intended for Resurgence implemented into the game. Warzone 2 fans suggest Falklands based map for Resurgence playlist With only large-scale map Al Mazrah confirmed for Warzone 2, players are hoping to see the game add a new Resurgence experience alongside it. Redditor Butterflychunks has taken this into consideration, unveiling his Warzone 2 concept map known as “Eagle’s Nest.” The concept is “a snowy island in the Falklands based on the geography of Husøy, Norway.” Eagle’s Nest is represented with an in-game style map, showcasing numerous POIs such as Headquarters, Shooting Range, and Lighthouse. The Redditor explained that “people seemed to like the idea of a resurgence map based on Husøy, Norway but there were concerns of having a shooter game take place in Norway, the fact that MWII is taking place in South America, and the fact that there’s now swimming in MWI.” With swimming no longer killing the player, Warzone 2 presents a unique opportunity to incorporate water skirmishes across different biomes. However, Butterflychunks noted that “the water could easily be a trap… Maybe a mechanic to prevent zones from ending in the water would help this map out.” Fellow Call of Duty players have shared their feedback, with one player suggesting that the OP “take the land and bridge out and I’m down. That looks like a solid island to make a kinda blend between Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep.” “It should be an island only, because if there is the other side two there will be campers all the time hitting people from the other side,” added Redditor Gnap0. It remains to be seen whether the developers will revisit Resurgence maps in the future.

Warzone’s Doom shotgun is “better than ever” as nerf apparently reverted – Dexerto
Warzone’s Doom shotgun is “better than ever” as nerf apparently reverted ActivisionOne of Warzone’s most broken weapons is back and causing havoc across the battle royale, as the one-shot Lockwood 300 is “overpowered” yet again. From the early days, Warzone has had it’s fair share of issues with broken weapons, pieces of equipment, and so on. No one will be forgetting the DMR or Mac-10 days of Verdansk in a hurry – especially as Urzkistan has had its own run-in with a DMR-esque weapon. However, that hasn’t been the only one reeking havoc on the new Warzone map. Players have forced the devs to roll out an emergency fix for the “busted” TYR Snakeshot pistols, but they’ve got nothing on the Lockwood 300. The shotgun – specifically the Doom bundle version of it – ran absolute roughshod over the final days of Al-Mazrah, prompting some players to quit the battle royale until it was nerfed. Well, despite being hit with changes a few weeks ago, the MW2 beast is back in a big way. Lockwood 300 is wrecking Warzone again A number of Warzone gurus, including ModernWarzone and WhosImmortal, have highlighted the Lockwood again over recent days, noting that it is “better than ever” in Modern Warfare 3. And even though there has been some concern about the power of MW2 weapons, you don’t have to alter the setup for the Lockwood too much from the previous game. As, yes, the Dual Trigger is the key component to making it so powerful. “This thing dominates any close-range gunfight right now – if you’re late game and you run into this, you’re going to be spectating in the Gulag, simple as that,” WhosImmortal said. “Definitely needs a nerf, but it is the newest one-shot gun out there right now. Muzzle: XTen V1.3 Choke – Barrel: Matuzek 812 Barrel – Laser: VLK LZR 7mw – Stock: Heist Stock Mod – Trigger Action: Maelstrom Dual Trigger – Given how many headaches the Lockwood caused last time, some players have naturally called for it to be nerfed again. “Get it out of here,” tweeted one player. As powerful as the shotgun is, there is a balance to using it. The Dual Trigger means that once you shoot, you’re going to be reloading instantly, so miss your shot and you’ll be a sitting duck. But, hit it, and you might just get a loud message over proximity chat. It’s also unclear just how the Lockwood has gotten back to it’s old self. Some players have speculated that TYR nerf has caused a knock-on effect for the shotgun, but that’s unclear. Hopefully the devs iron things out sooner rather than later.

Warzone’s Donnie Darko skin is accidentally punishing players for toxicity – Dexerto
Warzone’s Donnie Darko skin is accidentally punishing players for toxicity Activision / PexelsCall of Duty: Warzone trolls were apparently nerfed by the game’s Donnie Darko bundle. As a Rebirth island player found out, you need to be very careful when trying to get toxic and execute people as Frank the Rabbit. The Halloween-themed Donnie Darko bundle is beloved by many, despite some concerns over derriere deficiencies. But players are discovering a new issue with its execution animation. You need to think before you troll with Frank the Rabbit’s assassination. It might be unintentional, but the game can quite literally punish you for being toxic and trying to execute innocent victims. In a new video, which quickly amassed over 1,000 upvotes, ‘DevvyREDDIT’ showed why it’s necessary to exercise caution with Frank. While trying to finish a downed Rebirth Island enemy off in style, the animation betrayed Devvy and sent them to their peril. Warzone’s Donnie Darko bundle protects players from toxicity Devvy titled their clip with a simple caption: “I want my CoD points back.” And it’s easy to see why they would make that tongue-in-cheek joke, as the game hit them with an unexpected consequence for bad manners. After downing someone by the shoreline, Devvy tried Frank the Rabbit’s obnoxious execution. Referencing the cult classic, the animation has your Operator walk to the side as a jet engine crashes down on your victim. This execution is sick! Donnie Darko Victory love this Swiss #Warzone pic.twitter.com/2fgrI5t3hY — Ciaran McCabe (@CiaranMcCabe6) October 22, 2021 You can see how the animation normally looks in the clip above. But, unfortunately for Devvy, things didn’t go as planned. Instead, they walked right off of the shoreline and into the water — resulting in a quick death. In the replies, many laughed at the situation, much like Devvy couldn’t help but do after dying so suddenly. But one user responded with appreciation for the punishment: “That’s what you get for trying to execute someone in Rebirth.” And that’s how we all learned that the Donnie Darko bundle can enact justice on those looking to troll. If you’re going to get toxic and hit someone with a jet engine, just remember to check your surroundings first.

Warzone’s ‘demon gun glitch’ has returned in the latest update – Dexerto
Warzone’s ‘demon gun glitch’ has returned in the latest update Infinity WardOne of the most widespread and frustrating issues in Warzone history, the ‘demon gun glitch’ has returned once again after Infinity Ward deployed multiple patches to fix the problem. Warzone players were hit with one of the most infamous issues back in August. Seemingly at random, weapons could bug out and turn into an absolute monstrosity. Textures would glitch in all shapes and sizes, often taking up most of the screen and obscuring vision. After “fast-tracking” the problem, a patch was deployed and the glitch was taken out of commission. Ever since, players have been able to swap weapons without fearing for the rest of their run. Until now. Unfortunately, it appears as though the horrific texture glitch is back in full effect following the latest update. Multiple players have been struck with the bug once again, so here’s what you need to look out for. Midway through a standard quads game on September 15, popular content creator ‘Frozone’ came across the bug. “No way the glitch is back,” a member of the party said as Frozone tried to win a 1v1 with his entire screen taken up by the weapon. Black shapes took over the Assault Rifle. All he could do was run around empty-handed to see what was in front of him. To no surprise, the enemy was able to secure an easy win in the gulag before dropping back into Verdansk. Plenty of others responded to the clip, outlining how the issue had also been impacting their games since the latest patch. “Everyone’s favorite minor glitch is back,” Reddit user ‘da_nie11’ joked. Infinity Ward is yet to address the issue this time around. Given how widespread it was back in August, they should be fast-tracking it once again to nip it in the bud. For the time being, the only way to avoid the issue is to swap weapons. It can happen at random times, across all types of weapons, and in any playlist. It’s simply luck of the draw. Keep your eyes peeled for updates as the demon gun glitch jumps back onto the developer’s radar once again.

Warzone’s demon gun glitch evolves to create haunted houses – Dexerto
Warzone’s demon gun glitch evolves to create haunted houses Activision / Reddit: u/BigTexWarzone’s infamous demon gun glitch has returned to the Call of Duty battle royale in Season 1, and it’s stronger than ever. The bug is taking over entire buildings, glitching them out and turning structures into haunted houses. After jumping from Verdansk to Caldera, many thought Warzone’s controversial texture issues would be left in the past. Just hours into the new era, however, and the demon gun glitch made an emphatic return. Originally, the terrifying glitch only applied to weapon models. It’s only grown stronger over time though, as we’ve already seen Operators themselves morphing into unkillable demons. Despite the first Warzone update of 2022 just arriving, things are now worse than ever. The glitch has evolved once again as now, players have spotted entire demon houses on the Pacific map. “You’ve seen demon guns… I present to you the demon house,” Reddit user ‘BigTex’ shared in a January 8 post. Minding their own business in a solo lobby, this player stumbled upon the biggest demon bug yet. A house in the Caldera Capital City POI was glitching in a similar way to the common texture issue. Bizarre black spikes forced themselves through the ground, into the house, and out through the ceiling. With almost every step the position and size of these shapes came to life. Shifting and turning like a real “monster house,” the player stood shocked for a few seconds before heading inside. Certain textures disappeared momentarily as the player dared to get close. But others persisted through windows, walls, and everything in between. There’s no telling exactly what led to this demon bug evolution. There may have been a glitched weapon texture inside that simply latched onto the house. However, it could be the first sign of a new game-breaking issue in Warzone. It appears to be a rare case for the time being, so there’s a chance you may never see this particular issue in your own game. But it’s worth being vigilant as a haunted house could just be the cause of your next loss.

Warzone’s December 16 Christmas update seemingly breaks the game – Dexerto
Warzone’s December 16 Christmas update seemingly breaks the game ActivisionWarzone’s holiday-themed December 16 update appears to have completely broken the Battle Royale, leaving players unable to finish a full match due to the new festive features. Following an announcement earlier in the week, Warzone’s Festive Fervor event went live with a 6GB update on December 16. While this fresh patch intended to activate the Christmas-themed content, it has seemingly broken the game instead. Despite deploying a number of bug fixes, a vast majority of players are now unable to complete a match. Part-way through seemingly any match, Warzone’s servers can boot you from the lobby without warning. This issue appears to be impacting all platforms at the time of writing. Dexerto is working to verify the crashes occur in all playlists. “The Festive Fervor Warzone update has crashed my squads game three times,” one player highlighted on Twitter. “Game freezes for everyone & boots us all back.” “I tried playing a couple games on this newest update and [it] has been crashing at the same time every game for me and my squad,” another player chimed in on Reddit. “It just kicks us out and says the server disconnected from the host.” The Festive Fervor #Warzone update has crashed my squads game three times: game freezes for everyone, boots us all back to the main bright lobby. Merry Christmas 🎄😂 pic.twitter.com/SByumyvBTC — Charlie😼 (@CarlosBitMe) December 17, 2021 There’s no telling exactly what triggers the crash, though it appears to be something introduced in the holiday-themed update. Be it the AI Krampus that hunts players down, or new elves hidden around Caldera. Players have labeled Warzone “unplayable” in its current state, although Activision is yet to confirm issues following the update. You lag out every game of WZ with the new update, unfortunate scenes. — Paris TFeL (@FeLo) December 17, 2021 For the time being, Warzone players may not be able to complete a full match if they’re unlucky — so be wary if you do queue up.
