Warzone players want one of Apex Legends’ best features added ActivisionWhile Call of Duty: Warzone boasts a considerable number of unique features, some players are suggesting that Infinity Ward should take a leaf out of Apex Legends’ book by altering how you drop into Verdansk. Dropping into the vastness that is Verdansk can be daunting for the best of us. Selecting where to go from a seemingly endless list of locations is hard enough. But trying to orchestrate your two random teammates to jump to the same location seems damn near impossible — especially considering each person dictates where and when they dive. Warzone’s battle royale counterpart, Apex Legends, avoids this entirely with the in-game squad dive. Essentially, one member of a team is randomly selected as the ‘Jumpmaster’, to take charge of both the location and team’s skydive path to said location during their descent. So while players are given the option to break free from the pack, they usually land in the same spot — meaning they’re primed to take on enemies as a team, not individually. It is for this reason that one player has requested the same feature to be added in Infinity Ward’s battle royale — and it seems that they are echoing the thoughts on many in the community. Reddit user ‘sepltbadwy’ made their case in the Warzone subreddit, where they argued that the team should be guided down to a specific altitude by the designated squad leader, before being allowed to separate in the air. While this won’t stop team splitting entirely, it will prevent one member of your squad being in Dam while you’re in Prison (complete opposite ends of the map). Plenty of Redditors praised the use of Apex Legends’ skydive system in the comments, with one player responding: “I play Apex alot and 90% of the time your teammates drop with you. It works.” After amassing well over 1k upvotes in less than 24 hours, it appears that plenty of players have been affected by team splitting in Warzone. Given the vast nature of the map (and the specific challenges which often govern the location you drop to), this would certainly be a step in the right direction should the developers choose to implement it.

Warzone players want one feature from Battlefield 2042 & Halo Infinite – Dexerto
Warzone players want one feature from Battlefield 2042 & Halo Infinite Activision / 343 IndustriesFollowing the E3 reveals for Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite, Call of Duty: Warzone players have reignited a timeless debate: Should Blackout’s Grappling Hook be added to CoD’s current battle royale? Treyarch’s Black Ops 4 battle royale, Blackout, had a beloved Grappling Hook — which enabled players to reach new levels (quite literally) of mobility. That was scrapped when Infinity Ward released its BR, Warzone, but many miss the speedy item. The perk of a grappling hook is obvious: you can fly around the map, taking new positions and escaping spicy situations. The downsides are normally just that people think the mechanic brings too much mobility and defies the time period Warzone is meant to be set in. But, while zippy hook debates quieted down, they have suddenly returned — with a passion. After Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite each showcased the item in their E3 presentations, Twitch streamer IceManIsaac called for its addition to Warzone. I see grapple guns in the new Halo AND the new Battlefield, but still no grapples in Warzone 😭 — Isaac (@IceManIsaac) June 13, 2021 While Isaac obviously wants a grappling gun added to Warzone, there is some debate about it. Most notably, some have mentioned that Warzone isn’t supposed to be “futuristic” and that the vertical mobility would unfairly help rooftop snipers. As Isaac retorts, though, the only ways to counter snipers are by counter-sniping or calling in an airstrike on them. A grappling hook would add an entirely new dimension to balancing the game against campers, as it could give new players new angles to attack perches. This is echoed by other supporters of the idea, who mention that a grappling hook would help attack annoying sniping spots like the Airport tower. Additionally, many think this could help create a higher skill ceiling in Warzone — nurturing the skill gap. While it’s unclear how easy it would be for Raven Software to bring Treyarch’s Blackout Grappling Gun onto Infinity Ward’s Warzone engine, there’s definitely potential there. And, although fans seem undecided, there’s a lot of passion (and seemingly good reasons) to do so.

Warzone players want new ‘Rangefinder’ item that would be perfect for BR – Dexerto
Warzone players want new ‘Rangefinder’ item that would be perfect for BR Infinity WardAmong Call of Duty: Warzone’s tactical equipment, the Heartbeat Sensor reigns supreme—but a new fan suggestion, the ‘Rangefinder,’ could change that. There are some common loadouts you find across Warzone matches, with guns like the Grau and MP5 being accompanied by equipment like the Heartbeat Sensor and C4. Some will replace the MP5 with an HDR for range, while some might use a Stun Grenade as their tactical. Still, the Heartbeat Sensor is king, especially in the early game, as it gives you the power of a shoddy, close-range UAV in your pocket. While scouting your nearby surroundings is helpful, what about looking at greater distances? A rangefinder, as used in golf, or a set of binoculars, could solve this issue discreetly—sans a sniper’s muzzle flash or lens glare. There are two possible solutions to researching faraway areas: 1) a strongly scoped sniper or 2) an Advanced UAV (costing a clean $12,000 for three simultaneous UAV’s). The issues with the former are simple, some players don’t run snipers and those who do may not want their position given away by their sniper’s muzzle flash or lens glare (while none of the best sniper loadouts use Muzzle Flash Guards, even using one fails to negate lens glare). The issues with the latter are similarly obvious, an Advanced UAV costs a lot of money and doesn’t last for an extraordinary amount of time. Cue the Rangefinder tactical. Whatever form it comes in, binocular or otherwise, this device could enable players to scope out their surroundings without being easily spotted—making it a perfect complementary device for squads already running one close-range Heartbeat Sensor. As shared by ‘aedanerickson’ on Reddit, players running this piece of equipment could “zoom into it and watch opponents from a distance without sniper glare.” While some may point out that the binoculars offered by the Precision Airstrike offer this utility, they ignore the added functionality such a device could offer. Different suggestions range from having a thermal toggle to variable zoom to being able to easily ping enemies for your teammates—none of these are offered by the Precision Airstrike. Read more: MP5 or MP7 in Warzone: Which is better? – Some of those benefits may be offered by a Recon Drone, but with obvious range limitations. The Rangefinder tactical concept requires some fine-tuning, but it would address a need not currently handled in Warzone while providing an alternative option to the ever-popular Heartbeat Sensor.

Warzone players want new chat feature to taunt campers in solos – Dexerto
Warzone players want new chat feature to taunt campers in solos ActivisionCommunication in Warzone is key, but what if there was a way in which you could use it to provoke your nearby enemies via proximity chat? Warzone’s unique ping system and in-game chat is limited to you and your squad when roaming the streets of Verdansk. And as it stands, you can only hear your opposite number after you’ve eliminated them (albeit for a few seconds) via the death chatter feature that is a staple part of Call of Duty multiplayer. If you’re running solo games, there is a lobby full of players with no means to talk to one another, which can make for a lonely outing. That is, until one savvy player suggested Warzone add proximity chat. Taunting campers with proximity chat in Warzone? Essentially, proximity chat gives players the opportunity to tease nearby enemies and has been used in other BR games like PUBG. While on the surface, this seems a very simple concept, the implications would be huge — especially towards the endgame circle. According to the Reddit user, one of Call of Duty’s trademark features was having the ability to taunt players in the pregame lobbies. Well this, in essence, would bring that back to Warzone while adding a unique dynamic to gameplay. Players falling within a 10-meter radius, for example, would be able to taunt one another. This would add a “new dynamic of survival” to Verdansk, as jibing your opponent would leave them on edge while simultaneously acting as a hard-counter to campers. While on the surface, the concept seems like it would work well in solos, it might not be everyone’s ally… With some players requesting that the feature be ‘push-to-talk’ should it be added into the game. “I would only want proximity chat as a separate option like a ‘push-to-talk proximity chat.’ Otherwise, everyone will switch to party chat or discord and nobody would use in-game chat.” It would have an impact on gameplay, and would certainly add an exciting element to how players would navigate the map. Imagine sneaking up on an opponent and having to remain dead silent in real life to ensure you go undetected…

Warzone players want nerfs to “no skill” melee attacks ruining Rebirth matches – Dexerto
Warzone players want nerfs to “no skill” melee attacks ruining Rebirth matches ActivisionWarzone players have once again called on Raven Software to make a change to the way melee attacks work, with some believing they’ve gotten even more OP than normal on Rebirth Island. Anyone that has ever dropped into a game of Warzone will have, at some point, had to ditch their weapon and just use melee attacks to get the job done. While melee strikes might appear to just be a last resort, they’re actually incredibly strong – to the point where players have debated if it’s better to not try and find a weapon in the early game and just go with their fists. Naturally, this has annoyed plenty of fans, given that there are situations where guns are no match for melee strikes, which probably shouldn’t be the case in Call of Duty. Players have continually called for the power of the melee attacks to be nerfed but with all the changes being made to Rebirth Island matches, their power is back in the spotlight. One Warzone fan – PillowcaseDestroyer – claimed that melee attacks need to be discouraged instead of being the go-to option at the start of a game. “Nerf it, discourage it, it’s a shooter, not a boxing game. There’s no skill gap already so just give us this,” they said. “Melee is such a big crutch to bots and takes no skill.” Plenty of players agreed too, pointing to the melee attacks becoming a bigger headache than normal, especially on Rebirth. “I don’t know if it’s because of the Rebirth extreme bulls**t but it seems to have got worse, hope Rebirth gets back to normal ASAP,” one said. “Rebirth recently got crappy because they made it ‘extreme.’ It’s just more people but I know it’s irritating to be attacked by four people meleeing you,” added another. Of course, not everyone agrees that changes need to be made, arguing that players would complain if they started dying off the rip to pistols amid any sort of melee nerf. Ultimately, the final decision lays with Raven and they’ve been pretty unmoved despite the repeated calls for change, so we’ll have to wait and see if anything happens this time.

Warzone players want nerf to “OP” AR with lightning-fast TTK ruining Season 1 – Dexerto
Warzone players want nerf to “OP” AR with lightning-fast TTK ruining Season 1 ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone fans are already calling for the Bas-B to be nerfed as the popular assault rifle has an absolutely insane TTK in the battle royale. When the Modern Warfare 3 integration for Warzone finally came about, plenty of Call of Duty fans were excited to dive into the new Urzkistan map and have a fresh start on the battle royale experience. However, there have been a fair number of issues already. Cheaters have been popping back up in force, players have been able to get a ‘free’ Dead Silence perk, audio is perhaps the worst its ever been, and some weapons have been flat-out unusable. On top of that, they’ve also been annoyed about the TTK – time to kill – in the new update. It’s been called “crazy” fast by a number of players, and that’s spawned calls for some weapons to be nerfed too. Warzone fans want MW3’s Bas-B nerfed already The Bas-B and MTZ Interceptor are two of the frontrunners that fans want nerfed, with a specific focus put on the Bas-B’s TTK – which clocks in at around 580 m/s in gunfights up to 40 meters away. “Please don’t let these 2 guns run the show for the next month, thank you,” Redditor KGold535 said after pointing out the Bas-B’s power. “Yup it’s so overpowered it’s laughable,” another agreed. “The Interceptor, Bas-B, and DG all need a flat-out nerf. The Bas-B and DG also need a nerf in the MP,” another said. “God I just want the Bas-B to be nerfed already. literally cannot compete because everyone is using a gun that kills in half a second,” commented another. Warzone’s first update as a part of the MW3 integration focused mainly on the new movement penalty for Riot Shield users and tweaking different SMGs. It’s unlikely they’ll spring into action with a sneaky update to tone down the Bas-B and Interceptor, given that things are still so new. So, we’ll probably have to wait until Season 1 Reloaded before things start to get ironed out.

Warzone players want most frustrating Urzikstan feature removed – Dexerto
Warzone players want most frustrating Urzikstan feature removed ActivisionWarzone players are demanding that one of the game’s most annoying features gets removed, perplexed as to why it was even added to the game in the first place. With the Call of Duty battle royale being a live-service game that has been out for four years now, there has been a constant need for evolution and fresh content in the game, finding ways to keep things feeling new and enjoyable without getting boring. Each season can mean new weapons, vehicles, or a new Gulag, for example, while long-term it could mean new maps and modes added in. Some changes are loved, while others are revered, but there’s one that players are getting increasingly annoyed at: the Heavy Chopper. Warzone players want Heavy Chopper removed The Heavy Chopper hasn’t always been in Warzone, but has been added and removed here and there over the years, giving players a more heavily armored helicopter to traverse the map with and remain relatively safe. However, players are now getting seriously annoyed, as opponents use them to simply stay alive and wreak havoc in the endgame, with little in the way of countering them. “Why is the big heli a thing in Warzone?” asked a player asked on Reddit. “It is by far the worst vehicle implemented, takes more [than] a thousand bullets to shoot down, gets healed very easily in stations, nobody shoots it, enemy hitbox inside is so bugged then you can’t shoot even them but of course they can.” Many of the replies were firmly in agreement with the original post, with one even suggesting that “the devs constantly put things in the game because they think it’s cool without any regard for gameplay balance and fun.” As one player put it, while you can shoot at the chopper and hope other teams do the same, “nobody wants to give away their position and be vulnerable to an ambush while being distracted with it.” Whether developers Raven Software have any plans to remove or nerf the Heavy Chopper remains to be seen, but many players will be hoping for changes come Season 2.

Warzone players want massive change to Rebirth Reinforced respawn system – Dexerto
Warzone players want massive change to Rebirth Reinforced respawn system ActivisionWarzone Season 2 Reloaded focused heavily on Rebirth Island and, with more players coming to the mode, the community is asking for a massive change to the respawn protection system. Season 2 Reloaded hit the live servers on March 23 with Rebirth Reinforced, which included new POIs, challenges and Weapons Trade Stations. One thing that didn’t change on Rebirth though, is the ability to respawn. Players that die can redeploy back into the action if their team lives long enough. These people will drop in with just a pistol, but there’s a catch. They can kill you, but you can’t kill them. Warzone community demands Rebirth spawn system rework Developers typically implement spawn projection in FPS games as a sort of protection to keep people from getting killed over and over. However, it might be a little over-tuned in Warzone. In a Reddit post by ‘Danbuys’ the user brings up how spawn protection on Rebirth Island works and thinks it’s extremely overpowered for those coming back to the fight. They said that while in a fight a player that has just respawned can drop in really fast and just fire their pistol to kill you. But, due to spawn protection when they try to fire back, the bullets don’t do any damage. One Redditor suggested what many called a logical solution: “I think it should be as soon as you fire a bullet while dropping in, spawn protection should end.” This would mean that players wishing to engage in a fight will be faced with consequences for doing so. The current system turns off spawn protection when you pull your parachute a second time, so people can’t spam bullets on their way down. However, players think the proposed system would be a fair mechanic as it allows you to have a fighting chance against anyone that’s willing to challenge.

Warzone players want major changes made to “ridiculous” Dead Silence – Dexerto
Warzone players want major changes made to “ridiculous” Dead Silence ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have called upon the devs to make a number of changes to Dead Silence, with complaints about it spawning too much in-game. When running around Verdansk, many players ignore the Field Upgrades that drop out of boxes and spawn on the floor, and just trust their gun skill. These upgrades aren’t the difference between winning and losing, of course, but if you use them in the right situation, they can be a massive help. Dead Silence has always been a frustrating choice, just because of how the audio works – or sometimes doesn’t work – and you never want to die to someone you can’t hear. Well, players want changes. A raft of solutions have been suggested by different players, with many focusing on it having too high a spawn rate currently in-game. “I’ll kill someone with DS on and grab another one off their body. Too many on the map,” said Redditor CAPRS94. “When players are opting for dead silence over munitions/armor boxes which cost $4.5k and $6k you know it’s an issue,” added another player. Aside from the spawn rate being an issue, other players said it needs to have a “negative effect” in some way, say enemies being alerted to Dead Silence being activated in the area or it’s removed as soon as you fire a shot off.

Warzone players want Juggernaut removed to stop ruining games – Dexerto
Warzone players want Juggernaut removed to stop ruining games Activision, Infinity WardThe Juggernaut has been a controversial drop since its introduction into Call of Duty: Warzone, and the vast majority of players are now calling on the developers to remove it. Juggernaut suits in Warzone are annoying for obvious reasons: they can withstand almost endless damage and are gifted a deadly minigun. Although maybe a fun gimmick at first, players are now getting tired of it taking over the battle royale. Players have been venting their frustrations about it for a while now, but there has been no development in the Juggernaut controversy. So, when we asked dedicated Call of Duty fans’ opinions on the Juggernaut’s potential removal, the response was resounding. What they’re saying is pretty unanimous: remove the Juggenaut from Warzone. Warzone players want Juggernaut removed Our original question was straightforward: “Should the Juggernaut be removed from Warzone?” The response is also pretty straightforward: yes. However, fans had a lot of things to say in their own creative ways, so we’ve collated some of the best responses here. One fan actively questioned why the dev team ever decided to include the drop in the first place because of how overpowered it is, referring to it as “one of the most stupidly OP thing left in Warzone”. https://twitter.com/Kenstaaa/status/1334475454703661056 Another fan also referred to having the Juggernaut as being “game over” for whoever does not have access to the suit. Grabbing the juggernaut is the same as being ahead at the first corner in F1. Game over then and there. — Perksy (@ShaftedUn) December 3, 2020 This was quickly echoes by another player who states that it “completely breaks the game”, which is hardly what developers want to hear. Yea. Completely breaks the game. Whoever gets one basically guarantees their victory. Not all the time but I have yet to play a match where the team you got Jug lost. — 👑Cruzy (@AON_Cruzy) December 3, 2020 Finally, using their own experience another fan vented about a situation that seems to be constantly reoccurring throughout the comments: that playing against the Juggernaut in any situation is unplayable. Warzone’s developers have largely been very receptive to fan criticism, however, when it comes to this there’s been very little development over the past few months. Maybe if fans keep pushing something will change. Warzone is being integrated into the newest Call of Duty release, Black Ops Cold War, alongside the game’s first season in December. Perhaps then, some sweeping changes will be made – and the hated Jugg will be removed for good.

Warzone players want Iron Trials to stay as permanent ranked mode – Dexerto
Warzone players want Iron Trials to stay as permanent ranked mode ActivisionWarzone players are calling for Iron Trials ’84 to stay as a permanent ranked mode for the CoD battle royale, following its hugely popular implementation during the Season Five Reloaded update. Warzone’s immense casual popularity has struggled to translate entirely to competitive play, with some criticizing how much the game (and other BRs) favor campers and generally defensive play-styles. However, the addition of Iron Trials ’84 as the game’s new LTM has raised hopes that it could constitute the future of ranked Warzone. The mode changes a few of Warzone’s most basic rules – much slower TTK; the weakening of sniper rifles, stun grenades and medical syringes, and Buy Station prices subject to significant inflation. There is also a complete ban on Dead Silence and Stopping Power. One of the reasons it has remained so popular is that it widens Warzone’s fairly narrow skill gap, meaning the better players can excel and generally come out on top. CouRageJD was a prominent voice to praise the mode, highlighting its changes and potential. “I’ve been extremely critical of Warzone lately, but Iron Trials ‘84 is awesome,” he said. “This should be the future of Warzone Ranked modes. So so dope.” I’ve been EXTREMELY critical of Warzone lately, but… Iron Trials ‘84 is AWESOME. -2.5x health -Way less UAV spam -Stuns 50% less strong -Feels much more tactical -Rewards guns kill and team workThis should be the future of Warzone Ranked modes. SO SO DOPE. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) September 16, 2021 Plenty of players used Reddit to call for it as a permanent mode as well. ‘Spectral189‘ described it as “probably the best game mode” Warzone has ever had, and called for Solo, Duo and Trio versions to be implemented in the near future. Similarly, ‘orderabi‘ described it as “by far the best thing Raven have ever done” and called for it to stay as a permanent feature. Finally, ‘u119c‘ praised the mode’s changes: “I am absolutely loving the extended TTK and other little changes they have made. Sounds like they designed it for the super good players, but in my mind this is even better for the sh*tty players, like myself.” The amount of upvotes all the above posts received suggests that there are many in the community who echo their thoughts. It’s up to Raven now but, given the incredible feedback, it does seem like Iron Trials will hang around for some time.

Warzone players want huge QOL change to come with Caldera & anti-cheat – Dexerto
Warzone players want huge QOL change to come with Caldera & anti-cheat ActivisionWarzone players are awaiting the arrival of the Pacific map Caldera and the anti-cheat, but with it they want a huge quality of life change that will reset stats. With Season 1 of Warzone Pacific, the game will now have the RICOCHET anti-cheat put into effect. This has the goal of eliminating cheaters from the game once and for all as Warzone has been plagued by them for quite some time. With this in play and the new map, players want to see a huge change to stats as they prepare for Warzone and Vanguard integration. Warzone players want stats reset with new map and anti-cheat Caldera, Warzone Pacific’s new map is set to come on December 2 and with it comes the brand-new anti-cheat. As this is going to change the game completely, some Warzone players are begging for Activision to reset everyone’s stats from the past two years as they feel things will play differently now. Since there will be an anti-cheat, people are hopeful that this means hackers will disappear from the game. However, since there have been tons of cheaters, players want to see everyone’s stats get reset. This would put everyone back on a level playing field when it comes to overall stats but, with this change it would mean others will lose nearly two years worth of stats. One person suggested that if this were to happen that the devs should add a tab where players can go back and check their old progress. “If they do all the stats thus far should be compiled under a new tab in the barracks section labeled Map 1: Verdansk. This way we can always look back on how we did for 1.6 years,” the Redditor said. While there is no confirmation this will happen when the new map drops, players are hopeful that there will be a way to track Warzone Pacific stats only as the anti-cheat is finally coming.

Warzone players want huge batch of weapons removed to instantly improve the game – Dexerto
Warzone players want huge batch of weapons removed to instantly improve the game ActivisionWarzone Pacific has benefitted massively from the recent Season 4 changes and players think that CoD is one step away from being a truly great battle royale experience right now. Lately, Warzone has had a lot more positivity than negativity with the new Fortune’s Keep map being well-liked for adding some variety. Even though players have managed to find their way under the map and lag issues have hampered games a bit, Warzone is in a good spot right now. But as with most things, there’s always room for improvement, and Warzone players feel that if Raven Software made a big decision regarding the game’s choice of weapons and Operators, then the game could become “great.” Warzone needs to distance itself from Vanguard and Cold War In an interesting Reddit post, one user claimed that: “If Raven deleted all CW and VG weapons and operators right now – I think Warzone would be in a great place.” In essence, the user believes that Warzone Pacific needs to sever its ties with Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard and go back to the guns and Operators it had before either of the integrations. They explained that: “Weapons with actual recoil, Roze is much brighter, balanced weapons. Great sounding and looking weapons. That would have been the ultimate holdover for MW2 and Warzone 2.” It’s a topical argument with a new Roze skin on the loose and more information about MW2 being discovered all the time. It might be a yearning for nostalgia, but it’s definitely safe to say that having over 100 guns and as many Operators has possibly given players a bit too much to handle. Although, the sentiment wasn’t shared by everyone though, with someone saying: “I swear people romanticize the MW era of Warzone, but there was plenty of broken sh*t during that time as well,” and another commenter adding: “Grau, Bruen, Snakeshots, Fire Breath R9?! Lol. I mean Kilo/Mp5 was probably my favorite meta, but neither of those had any recoil at all.” It’s hard to imagine implementing such a drastic change when players have skins and other cosmetics tied to these guns, but it’ll be interesting to see how this is handled for Warzone 2 and subsequent Call of Duty games.

Warzone players want game-changing feature copied from Counter-Strike 2 – Dexerto
Warzone players want game-changing feature copied from Counter-Strike 2 Valve/ActivisionWarzone players have called for a big change in the Call of Duty battle royale, demanding the game to copy a certain feature from Valve’s Counter-Strike 2. CS2, the sequel to CS:GO, is still in beta not yet out to the wider public, but has already caused a huge stir online since it was announced, as players look forward to the more refined experience of what has become the defining competitive FPS of the last couple of decades. It’s not only Counter-Strike players that think the game looks great either, as now even Call of Duty players want certain facets of the game copied over, and with the impending switch to Modern Warfare 3, now could be the perfect time for it. The thing COD players want to see imitated from CS:GO the most is actually Smoke Grenades — and this could completely shake up the meta. CS2 smokes in Warzone? Posting a clip to Reddit, COD player JoeThrilling simply said, “Warzone needs smoke like this.” Smokes underwent a big change in CS2, becoming more responsive to their surroundings and can be affected by gunshots, light, grenades, and other objects, making windows of vision for aggressors to see through. In CS:GO, players could create ‘one-way’ smokes that they could see through but enemies couldn’t seem them — a problem that has also been evident in Call of Duty — giving them an unfair advantage. With smoke grenades having been so prominent in the Warzone 2 meta since it launched, plenty of players in the comments are in agreement with Joe, though many joked about how the COD servers simply couldn’t handle it. Others simply said that it would be “way better” or that they “wish WZ had this level of detail.” Whether developers Raven Software do want to make smoke grenades volumetric like in CS2, or even change them at all, remains to be seen.

Warzone players want further Stim changes after Season 3 nerf – Dexerto
Warzone players want further Stim changes after Season 3 nerf ActivisionWarzone players are demanding further Stim Shot changes following the long-awaited nerf they received in the Season 3 Reloaded patch, which altered the equipment’s slide modifier and damage intake. Season 3 Reloaded brought a breath of fresh air to Warzone, with the arrival of new weapons, a mine cart travel system, and many other changes that were released with the massive patch. More notably, the long-awaited Stim Shot nerf also arrived with the new update. After they caused a disturbance in the battle royale, with players being able to escape what would sometimes be considered, the devs finally took action. However, the Warzone community believes further changes may be needed if players continue to use the Stim Shots incorrectly. In a May 27 Reddit thread, Warzone player ‘Crimerapfan’ explained his seemingly unpopular opinion about the Stim Shot changes. “In my opinion, the Stim nerf shouldn’t be that big of a deal, it also shouldn’t come as much of a surprise,” said the player. “It was definitely overpowered and the only ones who are complaining are the ones who exploited the excess slide distance and speed and do all that glitchy moving and sh*t,” the player added. “Those same people will also claim ‘skill’. “If it’s truly a skill, the nerf wouldn’t affect you too much. Skill doesn’t just magically disappear, due to a slight inventory change, right?” According to others, the Stim nerf in the Reloaded patch actually didn’t seem to change much at all. “I’m a huge fan of using stims and the nerf… didn’t really change sh*t,” replied one fan in the comments. “They’re still extremely useful.” As noted by another in the replies, the Stims are supposed to be used to keep you going in longer fights. However, if they continue to be used to give players a boost before a fight, and give the ability to evade enemies, further changes may be needed. “They weren’t designed to juice you up before a confrontation, they’re designed to keep you going between multiple or prolonged confrontations. If people continue using them the way they’re currently used, then they’re obviously still broken and need nerfing further,” they said. With many seemingly agreeing that the Stim Shot changes were definitely needed, It’ll be interesting to see if it receives further changes by the devs in the next patch.

Warzone players want “fresh start” with next Call of Duty – Dexerto
Warzone players want “fresh start” with next Call of Duty ActivisionEven though Warzone Pacific has been out for nearly three months, players are already wanting a “fresh start” with the new Call of Duty release. Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific was released on December 9, 2021, bringing forth a new look to the Battle Royale. Fully integrating the latest Call of Duty: Vanguard release, the update brought a new map, Caldera, the Season 1 Battle Pass, 100 fresh tiers, new weapons, vehicles, and more. This meant that players had to acclimate to a new style of Warzone, one that some fans aren’t too fond of. Warzone players want the game to adopt the next Call of Duty upon release It’s not always fine and dandy on the Pacific Island of Caldera, as since its release players have had plenty to complain about from Krampus ruining games during the Holidays to the usual hacker ruining lobbies, so it’s safe to say that for some, the beloved essence for Warzone they once had is starting to fade. In a post on the CODWarzone subreddit, Redditor GodeaterTJ brought up how Warzone “should start fresh with MW 2022.” They expressed their frustrations with the current state of the game, suggesting that Warzone should start completely fresh upon the next Call of Duty release. “WARZONE should start fresh with the launch of MW 2022,” said GodeaterTJ. “Remove all old cod games, all old game resources. Remove all BR maps except Rebirth island and start as a new Warzone with the same experience of Warzone Battle Royale.” These thoughts were echoed by others in the subreddit with one fan stating “Blow up the current game. It’s trash.” Players wanting something new in their game is never surprising no matter the scale. Only time will tell if Activision will make some changes in the future to appease them.

Warzone players want a fix to “ridiculous” Gulag noises in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone players want a fix to “ridiculous” Gulag noises in Season 4 ActivisionCall of Duty players want a fix to a burgeoning problem in Warzone’s new Hijacked Gulag, where 1v1 matches are apparently getting ruined by the excessive noises in the arena. Battle royales these days have ways for players to spawn back into the action should they get taken out. In Warzone, that opportunity comes via a duel against another player at the Gulag trial, all while others watch from the sidelines before their chance to fight. But the Gulag has a new look in Warzone Season 4, and some players are already chiming in about some minor tweaks that can make a big difference. On Reddit, user ‘Vyra_Static’ brought up the audio issues in Warzone’s new arena and there were quite a few people with similar issues – and others who might’ve made had their fun at the bug’s expense. “Is it just me or are the footsteps of the spectators in the Gulag way too loud?” Vyra_Static noted. “I can’t hear where the enemy is at all over it and it’s extremely distracting hearing them stomp around on the stairs.” People might need some time to get used to the new map, but there are already some big issues that they want adjusted. “Hate the new Gulag,” user ‘K0NSPIRACY‘ said. “With the ridiculous footsteps above and poor lighting, this is the worst Gulag we have had in my opinion.” There are some upsides that some people found since it can give people an incentive to actually fight instead of camping. “I actually like that you hear their footsteps. If it was just you and your adversary the gulag would become even more campy,” user ‘AboubakarKeita’ said. Even though they have their supposed benefits, a lot more people were interested in plugging up the audio spills instead. If the problem persists, it could be something Raven Software looks at to see if there’s a way to tune it down before it starts being a problem.

Warzone players want even more PvE features after Vanguard reveal – Dexerto
Warzone players want even more PvE features after Vanguard reveal ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard was officially revealed through an in-game PvE Warzone event. Players had to complete tasks in the Battle of Verdansk to unlock the trailer. The community enjoyed this and is asking the devs to add more PvE features. PvE is also known as player vs. environment, which is when players are against an AI-controlled system. CoD’s Campaign and Zombies mode are two of its modes that fall under this category. In the Battle of Verdansk, players were on a team of 32 players against the armored train. They needed to work together to do enough damage to take down the AI-operated train. This event could be the start of something that players want to be added to Warzone in the future: PvE game modes with rewards. Warzone community calls for more PvE modes Feedback from the worldwide reveal event has seen a lot of positivity from the community. Players enjoyed this event so much that they want to see more PvE Warzone events in the future. This Reddit post shows off the community’s happiness with this event. Lots of comments surrounding this were in favor of adding more PvE aspects into Warzone. The in-game Warzone event is available for a limited time and can be replayed as much as possible, but the rewards are only available to earn once. Players want replayability and were quick to throw some ideas around that could work as a PvE Warzone mode. Most of the ones tossed around revolved around integrating aspects of Call of Duty’s popular Zombies game mode. On top of integrating aspects of Zombies into Warzone some players had other suggestions. One Redditor wants to see a mix of PvE and PvP. They said, “PvE but zombies / survival / fortification until the very end, last 5 squads fight each other for escape.” As suggested this mode would be PvE up until there are five teams left. Once there are fewer teams in the lobby it then turns into the Battle Royale PvP mode, the last team standing wins. There hasn’t been any indication from Activision on plans to add more PvE modes into the game. However, after the recent event, fans are eager to see more of this in the future.

Warzone players want devs to urgently fix popular mode they’ve “ignored” – Dexerto
Warzone players want devs to urgently fix popular mode they’ve “ignored” ActivisionWarzone players are calling on the devs to bring about some changes to Plunder, claiming the popular mode is “underdeveloped” and “ignored” right now. While Warzone is, at heart, just a battle royale game, it has had a fair share of spin-off modes over the years that have proven to be popular. These have included the likes of Iron Trials, the Totally Normal April Fool’s mode, and Armored Royale. However, they don’t stack up to Plunder. The secondary mode has been a staple since Warzone first launched, and while it’s all about staying alive, you’re tasked with picking up cash and delivering it safely. It’s also played at a much slower pace than the normal battle royale mode, allowing a bit more freedom for casual players Plunder, however, doesn’t see the same amount of attention as the standard battle royale mode, which annoys plenty of players. Warzone players call for Plunder changes as its being “ignored” Those complaints have come to the fore again, with players claiming the mode is still being “ignored” and “underdeveloped” by the Warzone devs. “It’s basically a core game mode, but hasn’t received major updates since its release. And seems to be underdeveloped, there aren’t even stats for this game mode in the menu which should list number of wins, number of top 3s, kills, deaths, k/d, total cash collected…,” Redditor Lma0-Zedong complained, listing a number of bugs that have stuck around from launch. They also suggested several gameplay changes, including reducing the number of cash balloons and self-revive kits, bringing back Bounty contracts, and also a bonus for pulling off an execution on an enemy. These ideas were supported by a fair few Plunder players, who also had their own suggestions. “I’d like to see small-map plunder come back, like we had with rebirth,” one said. “They just need to throw some rewards on it to make people care a little more,” another added. “Since the devs seem incapable and/or unwilling to address rampant cheating in BR game modes, Plunder being ignored is a good thing for those of us who just want to play the game,” another argued. It remains to be seen if the devs will heed the calls for change, but it is clear that players want a little more.

Warzone players want death chat & Gulag changed to improve trash talk – Dexerto
Warzone players want death chat & Gulag changed to improve trash talk ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s most passionate trash talkers are hoping devs and other players will consider their ideal reworks for a core mechanic: the death chat. If they have their way, death chat could get real old-school. Most CoD players will tell you of the olden days of Modern Warfare multiplayer lobbies, where boys turned to men and children learned words they probably shouldn’t have. The virtual version of pick-up basketball, MP has a lot of trash talk… and Warzone fans want in on that action. The only chances for smack talk in CoD’s battle royale are either for a brief moment when you’ve been killed or at the end of the game. Both also exist in multiplayer as well, but Verdansk misses the joy of pre-game banter in the lobby. So, as suggested by Reddit’s ‘Chains-of-Ice,’ what if Warzone’s death chat went both ways and lasted a full five seconds? The idea is divisive, but the community is knee-deep in figuring out how to get that level of spice into the game. Chains brought their idea to Warzone’s subreddit with a simple title: “I wish death chat went both ways and was extended to 5 seconds.” Knowing it might not be very realistic, they continued: “I know it will never happen, but a man can dream.” But, over 1,000 upvotes and hundreds of comments later, it appears that the idea struck a chord. While the top comment, from ‘joshmessages,’ wasn’t very fond of the idea — others seem quite interested. Josh said “this game is toxic enough already,” that didn’t stop people from saying they “love” the concept and, even further, adding on other possibilities. Another user, ‘Kernow_Kant,’ piled on in support of more trash talk: “open mic when fighting in the Gulag would be funny.” And they’re right, can you imagine the chaos in Verdansk if you could talk trash to your opponent in the Gulag? The mind games would be on another level. That, along with double-sided death chat would make for a spicier BR than ever. Of course, if the community can’t fully agree on wanting these changes, it’s unlikely the developers will be convinced. But there’s definitely some discussion going and, if it picks up momentum, maybe we’ll get more fire in Warzone lobbies at some point.

Warzone players want “cringe” Urzikstan intro removed already – Dexerto
Warzone players want “cringe” Urzikstan intro removed already ActivisionWarzone players are demanding that the new intro to games on Urzikstan be removed already, with many calling it “cringe” and “too long” of a cutscene. When Modern Warfare 3 was first released at the start of November, many Warzone fans were disappointed that the battle royale wasn’t going to be integrated right away. That integration had to wait until Season 1, which went live on December 6, bringing in a new map in the form of Urzkistan, a whole host of weapon changes, some new guns, and plenty of other quality-of-life updates. On top of that, when you start up a game on Urzikstan, you’ll be greeted with a new cutscene where, before being deployed to Warzone, you meet with Commander Graves as he gives you the basics. However, it’s taken less than a day for it to become a pretty big bugbear for players. Warzone players ‘cringing’ at Commander Gaves intro for Urkzistan already That’s right, Warzone fans have already started complaining about the new intro, with many saying it is “cringe” and needs to be taken out already. Some even want them to copy Apex Legends’ way of doing things. “Agreed it’s very cringe, especially after seeing it once. They need to just learn from Apex and instead of doing these stupid intros just let us do customizable player cards that show off lifetime wins/damage/kills/etc at the beginning of the game and maybe show things like kill leader throughout the match,” suggested one player. “I think it should only be in the first match of Warzone,” added another. “The intro is too long,” another said. “This guy’s voice is unbearable. It’s all throughout the game. So damn annoying,” commented another. Some players even compared it to the ship crashing into Verdansk cutscene from all the way back in 2021, which caused some headaches – literally – because of the noise it made. Obviously, it’s unlikely that things will change so soon after the Season 1 update, but it might be something for the devs to consider moving forward.

Warzone players want classic Verdansk mode to return ahead of Black Ops 6 – Dexerto
Warzone players want classic Verdansk mode to return ahead of Black Ops 6 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are calling for a classic mode to return to the battle royale ahead of Black Ops 6, especially as some of them have gotten bored of Supreme already. Even though the formula for a battle royale game is pretty simple, Warzone has had a few wrinkles over the last few years. Additional modes like Plunder, DMZ, Iron Trials, and Armored Royale have all won fans over at different points. Most recently, another mode has been re-added to the mix – Supreme Resurgence. Taking place on Rebirth Island, Supreme has ‘premium’ ground loot instead of the usual base guns, the prices of your usual loadouts are increased, and it takes longer for teammates to rejoin fights on the Resurgence countdown. The mode has split fans a bit, however. And those players who are on the side of not really loving it, have used it as a way to call for the return of the stripped-back Classic BR mode before Black Ops 6. Redditor rocker287 started the calls for an “opposite” mode to Supreme in which players would “basically find nothing” and only ground loot instead of being able to buy loadouts. “I’d prefer a barebones mode, no perks, loadouts or killstreaks, just pickups or buy your weapons from the buy station,” one fan agreed. “This was a mode in WZ1 and nobody played it, was called Classic Battle Royal if I remember correctly,” another added. “Make it like Blackout. Drop with a pistol and have to gather guns and attachments,” another player commented. Some players want the developers to go even further than that and re-ignite the Iron Trials mode. “Iron Trials on Rebirth was fun in WZ1. Rarely lost,” they added. Classic BR was a popular mode with those fans who craved a PUBG-esque experience in CoD. Loot was basic and it felt like a rewarding time commitment. However, it did also have its critics because of how slow some games were. Maybe it could be revisited with a few tweaks for Area 99, there is certainly an audience for it.

Warzone players want classic modes made permanent with Vanguard integration – Dexerto
Warzone players want classic modes made permanent with Vanguard integration ActivisionWith Call of Duty: Vanguard set to be integrated with Warzone in the coming weeks, players are hoping that the developers can bring back Plunder and other casual modes as permanent additions. When Warzone first launched as a part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, there was really only one game that fans played – that being the main battle royale mode. The limited-time modes like Plunder, Mini Royale, Resurgence, and others have gotten more love over time, and the constant playlist changes have left players furious that Plunder, especially, isn’t a permanent mode. With Call of Duty: Vanguard set to take over Warzone a few weeks after the game launches, players are hoping that things and they can get some additional permanent modes that offer a more casual aside from the main battle royale. As players have been left fuming about Plunder’s constant removal, some ran a poll on social media to see if fans would rather it be a permanent mode. The supportive responses for Plunder being a permanent mode have ever so slightly beaten out those fans who don’t really care if it sticks around or not. “There should always be at least one mode where you start with loadouts,” said one player. “I don’t even play plunder but IDK why they would remove a game mode they’ve had since day one,” added another. Others noted that they are taking a break from Warzone until the more laidback modes return, with some noting that casual players are “over” and “done with” the battle royale until Vanguard releases. With the new game on the way, it seems likely that we’ll get some different limited-time modes added to the mix too, but it seems as Plunder is the one players want. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see if their calls are heard by the devs.

Warzone players want classic Fortnite feature to improve “broken weapons” – Dexerto
Warzone players want classic Fortnite feature to improve “broken weapons” Activision / Epic GamesWarzone players are begging for the classic Fortnite feature vaulting, as it will help combat the era or broken weapons in the game. Season 2 of Warzone brought a handful of weapons changes including nerfs to the Bren and MP-40, which have been the most popular. These meta guns got hit hard but they dominated all of Season 1, which was over two months. Now, thanks to a secret buff on another SMG, players are asking the devs to implement a vault system similar to Fortnite’s so overpowered weapons can just be removed. Warzone players want Fortnite weapon vault feature In a Reddit post by ‘digit_zero’ the user brought up the topic of completely removing certain weapons from the game if they’re overtuned. This comes off the back of a secret Warzone buff, making the PPSh one of the strongest of all time. Digit Zero suggested that Raven Software should add a vaulting mechanic similar to what Fortnite has. However, in a CoD twist, this wouldn’t be a long-term thing. The proposal was for Raven to have a system that disables a gun when it becomes broken like the PPSh. This would allow for the devs to balance it and not have the weapon running around lobbies, dominating everyone. Multiple people backed this statement and one person said, “Agreed, the weekend is the only time for casuals to play and when this happens it basically rules out the weekend.” Another Redditor mentioned this would be great for the game and BR communities like Fortnite don’t have issues with it. “Fortnite has a vault system and there hasn’t been much of an outcry about it.” There is no telling if Warzone devs will do this as there are weapon blueprints that players can purchase. But, players want a method to temporarily turn off broken weapons in the game.

Warzone players want classic Battlefield feature to escape cheaters & trolls – Dexerto
Warzone players want classic Battlefield feature to escape cheaters & trolls Activision/DiceCall of Duty: Warzone players want Raven Software to follow what EA and DICE do with Battlefield, allowing them to rent private servers and get away from hackers. When Warzone first launched, cheaters were nowhere near as prevalent as they are now. Sure, there’d be wallhacks and aimbots on occasion, but most lobbies were free from issues. Fast forward to now and the Call of Duty battle royale is in dire straits. Many players have abandoned it because of cheats, while others are just waiting for something else to come out so they can jump ship too. Of course, not everyone wants to ditch the game. Plenty of players want Raven Software and Activision to clean things up, suggesting different ideas for how they could do so – ranging from an improved anti-cheat, no more PC and console cross-play, and everything else. Well, now, some players have suggested that they could follow in the footsteps of Battlefield, giving players the chance to rent servers of their own. It was brought up by Redditor MadDog_8762 noting that being able to run your own server would provide a solution to the game’s “biggest issue” as you’d be able to get rid of anyone cheating or trolling. This would add a LOT of variety,” the Warzone fan stated. “Provide some respite from dirty players and would overall improve the game, WHILE still providing the Devs with some income via server rentals.” They also noted that running your own server could mean players come up with interesting custom rulesets as well. Others quickly backed the idea and suggested that the Warzone devs take heed of it and follow what Battlefield 4 does, where you can set ping limits to avoid lagging as well. “That would be cool as hell, and for streamers could be a good setup to drive supporter income, etc. win-win all around,” said one fan. “I can already imagine the perfect server: “no ghost, no dead silence, no stopping power rounds.” It would be paradise,” added another. Of course, it would be on Raven and Activision to implement and would be a bit of a big undertaking, but it’s clear that fans would dig into their pockets for their own servers.

Warzone players want changes to UI making it impossible to see anything – Dexerto
Warzone players want changes to UI making it impossible to see anything ActivisionVisibility in Warzone has always been a huge talking point within the community, but players now want changes to the way loadout markers appear on the map. Having clear visual readability is incredibly important in any FPS game, particularly in Warzone, where quick reactions are needed to take down your foes. Previously, many players utilized the Rook Roze skin on Verdansks to blend into the darker areas of the map. While the tropical island of Caldera is a lot more vibrant in its looks, many players are still reporting problems with the game’s various map markers. These position-based targets may enable players to know how far away they are from certain objectives, but they can also greatly obstruct your view. Warzone players call for changes to loadout drop markers The problem seems to mainly occur when a loadout drop spawns on the map, which puts a gigantic square marker onto the map. This also appears directly in front of players when they’re facing in the same direction as it. Read More: Ultimate Warzone event calendar – Of course, knowing how far you are from a loadout drop is incredibly important, particularly given how influential custom weapons are in Warzone. However, the visual indicator can sometimes obstruct your view. “Honestly, there is so much visual unnecessary garbage that pops up the screen. Let me turn all the visual alerts off and put them in my earpiece. If I miss out it’s on me. I just want to be able to see the battlefield,” explained one frustrated player. One player even noted how they managed to secure a win by abusing the visual clutter of loadout markers. They highlighted how unfair this strategy is, uploading an image of what the other player saw before they were eliminated. “Loadout markers should only be visible when highlighted,” they said. The problem also occurs from loot markers and other UI-based map indicators. It’s certainly a frustrating issue and one many players will hope is fixed in the future.

Warzone players want big shotgun buffs as fan-favorite LTM returns – Dexerto
Warzone players want big shotgun buffs as fan-favorite LTM returns ActivisionSome Call of Duty: Warzone players believe shotguns are in dire need of a buff, especially pump shotguns now that the Scopes & Scatterguns LTM has started to rise in popularity. Since Warzone first launched over a year ago, pretty much every type of weapon has had its moment in the spotlight. Early on, players were experimenting with LMGs, RPGs, and long-range weapons, but things have settled down. In the case of sidearms, pistols do get some love – especially in the early game – but you’ll be hard-pressed to find top players who will build classes around their shotgun counterparts. Like pistols, the shotguns can be useful in the early game when everyone is scrambling for loot, but once the loadout drops start coming in, you probably won’t see one. Though, players would like to see that changed. With the Scopes & Scatterguns – Shotty/Snipers, to others – limited-time mode getting some love from players, they’ve had a chance to actually wield shotguns for a more consistent period of time. As a result, some players have highlighted the fact that they should be a little more powerful, especially those that are Pump Action like the Model 680, Hauer 77, and 725. “All of these shotguns are thrown to the wayside while their automatic counterparts hog the spotlight,” said Warzone fan Cream-Shpee.”Give them a chance, balance them properly, and make them fun to use instead of frustrating.” Plenty of players quickly agreed with the sentiment, especially with the Hauer. “Hauer needs a massive buff, been awful for too long,” added one. “Just make them a consistent 2-shot with hip fire against full plates out to a decent range, say 10 meters or so,” suggested another. Other players noted that the VLK Rogue – which does fall into the Pump Action category – is pretty powerful currently and goes under the radar compared to the others. “Don’t tell this to anyone, but the VLK Rogue shotty with fire breath is borderline meta,” added evsorr. Ultimately, the final call on balancing lays with Raven but if non-meta weapons are going to be put in the spotlight then players are going to question why they’re underpowered.

Warzone players want Apex Legends-style change in Warzone 2 to counter stims – Dexerto
Warzone players want Apex Legends-style change in Warzone 2 to counter stims ActivisionWith Warzone 2 on the horizon, some fans of the Call of Duty battle royale have voiced their concerns with stim gas plays still being a tactic in the new game. If you’ve gotten to the end game at any point in Warzone over the last three years, you’ve probably encountered – perhaps even used yourself – a stim inside the gas. While many players try and go for the throat, racking up kills on their way to victory, there are plenty who stick to the edge of the circle and play things slowly. These are the ones that you’ll typically find hiding inside the toxic gas, using stims until their enemy falls and they can claim victory themselves. Even though it is a legitimate strategy, it is a controversial one too as changes have been made to the medical equipment over time. While some fans wanted stims to be removed for Warzone 2, they will be returning, and it’s sparked some concerns. Warzone players worried stims may still be OP in Warzone 2 With players bidding their farewells to Warzone ahead of the release of Warzone 2, they’ve been using it as a chance to look forward and hopefully encourage some changes – especially with Stims. “Really hoping they change this. One of the worst parts of WZ is stupid ass gas plays. Gas should be fatal,” said one. “Pacifist shouldn’t be a legitimate, moreover easy, play style in a battle royale.” Other players agreed. “I have not played Warzone now In weeks. I’m basically done with it because of all the major bulls**t that’s in this game. I want a nice clean reset for WZ2, and I hope and pray they have done a better job,” said one. “Bring on MW2 and WZ2 when some of this crap is finally gone,” added another. Another suggested that Warzone should follow the likes of Apex Legends where the damage dealt by the zone increases over time. “I’d quite like a system like Apex whereby the gas gets stronger after each zone collapses. So final circle gas is not to be f**ked with but in the early game you can get away with it a bit,” commented another. The zones are being tweaked in Warzone 2, with a focus on counter-acting third-party fights, but who knows what will happen with the stims. Though, it’s clear there is a demand for change.

Warzone players want Apex Legends ping system added to fix Caldera issues – Dexerto
Warzone players want Apex Legends ping system added to fix Caldera issues ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have suggested that Raven Software take a page out of Apex Legends’ book when it comes to addressing the game’s ping system, as many believe it has gotten worse with the launch of Caldera. The battle royale market has become awash with top-tier titles in recent years, with Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Warzone continuing to lead the way from the foundations set by the likes of H1Z1 and PUBG. As a result, it’s not a shock to see some developers take inspiration from their rivals in the form of new features. It’s something Raven Software is doing in Warzone Season 2, bringing the Redeploy Balloons concept from Apex onto Caldera. Some players, though, would like to see Raven go back to the well and use other features from Apex – with one big one being the trend-setting ping system to communicate with teammates a bit easier. The ping system in Warzone has become an annoyance to players, and as Redditor Paul-Bag pointed out, appears to have only “gotten worse” following the integration with Call of Duty: Vanguard. “Can we get a ping system that actually pings where your crosshair is instead of pinging any vehicle or piece of loot that might be within a 10-mile radius of where you’re pinging?” they asked, noting the issues that have arisen with it recently. “They could take inspiration from Apex, I wouldn’t mind that even if it was copy pasted,” said one fan, while others were “surprised” to not see it bundled in with all the quality of life fixes in the Season 2 patch. Some claimed there is a delay on the current ping, which causes headaches too. “Somewhere around early 2020 it broke and now it’s got a delay and also it’s way less accurate,” they added. Back in mid-2021, EA did patent the ping system from Apex, while also opening up the possibility of other games being able to implement it. Though, who knows if Warzone will ever tap into that possibility.

Warzone players want another nerf for “pay to win” Gaia skin that’s worse than Roze – Dexerto
Warzone players want another nerf for “pay to win” Gaia skin that’s worse than Roze ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone fans are urging the devs to, once again, change the Gaia skin as it is still “broken” despite being nerfed not too long ago. Over the last few years, Warzone players have had to contend with some pretty broken and downright pay-to-win features – especially when it comes to skins. The infamous Roze skin plagued the battle royale for quite some time, as it was impossible to see the blacked-out skin when players were hiding in corners. It was a similar story with the 100 Thieves skin, but that was addressed a little more quickly than Roze. Now, as we head towards Modern Warafare 3, Warzone has been overrun by the Gaia skin – or what some are calling Groot. It’s a tree-styled skin for the Halloween event, but there are some pretty big visibility issues with it, even despite a recent update to make it more visible. Warzone players want “pay to win” Gaia skin changed again The Gaia skin has already been labeled as “pay to win” by many players and while that update was supposed to make it more visible, that hasn’t been the case. In fact, some believe it’s even worse than the infamous Roze skin. “Worst skin ever. Exponentially worse then the Roze skin,” stated one player. “Damn and I thought the gimp suit Roze skin was bad lmfao. That’s crazy,” added another. “God, I hate this skin man,” another commented. Many players have taken to social media to demand further changes, showing off their miserable experiences where trying to see the skin in certain situations is impossible. That includes Redditor bmujagic, who completely lost an enemy when they were in an area with a bit of vegetation around. Other players noted that the skin will be a “huge problem” if it makes it into Modern Warfare 3 in its current state, especially given the lighting and landscapes on some of those maps. It very much remains to be seen if the devs will roll out another nerf, but it’s clear that players are fed up with not being able to see their enemies.

Warzone players use NFL pro’s wild gun threat video to create “Damon Arnette loadout” – Dexerto
Warzone players use NFL pro’s wild gun threat video to create “Damon Arnette loadout” Activision / Twitter, @damon_arnetteOakland Raiders pro Damon Arnette was released after a video where he threatened someone with what seemed to be a customized gun. Now, Call of Duty: Warzone players have turned it into a Kilo loadout. While Call of Duty gets its weapon inspiration from the real world, the game’s players rarely get a chance to. But, Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette’s release into free agency seems to have offered up an opportunity. A first-round pick in 2020, Arnette posted a video to his Instagram this weekend where he threatened to kill someone. During the video, he added gravity to his words by showing off a number of guns. One of the weapons Arnette flaunted looked especially kitted out and Warzone fans noticed immediately. Now, people have already come up with a Kilo 141 loadout that looks strikingly similar. The Damon Arnette Kilo 141 Warzone loadout As you see in the tweet shared by Johnny Faam, the Arnette loadout is an interesting one. Barrel: Singuard Arms Whispier – Laser: 5mw Laser – Stock: No Stock – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Magazine: 100 Round Drums – It’s not quite a meta class, although the Kilo is still a pretty fun gun to use in Verdansk (with a normal Kilo loadout, that is). But it could be an interesting option to bring out if you want to feel like an NFL player on the verge of free agency. Of course, if you want to see the source material — Arnette’s video has been shared across social media. Damon Arnette released after video brandishing guns Dawg wtf is going on in Las Vegas? Look at Raiders CB Damon Arnette flexing a gun saying he gon kill somebody smh pic.twitter.com/PiJKT5Cyq7 — Robert 💔💔 (@RobertRaymond46) November 6, 2021 As you can see in the videos shared, Arnette and some anonymous person got into an argument. And, in response to them “talking s**t,” Arnette apparently posted videos showing his guns. During the video, he can be heard saying “on everything I love, I will kill you.” In response to the video, Raiders general manager Mike Mayock confirmed that the team released their young cornerback. Explaining the situation, Mayock said “we cannot stand for the video of Damon with a gun, threatening to take a life.”

Warzone players use bug to turn Dirt Bikes into invincible guided missiles – Dexerto
Warzone players use bug to turn Dirt Bikes into invincible guided missiles ActivisionWarzone has introduced many modes of transportation throughout the seasons. One of the game’s coolest vehicles is the Dirt Bike. Players have discovered a new tactic that allows them to turn this bike into a missile. There are many different ways to get around in Verdansk. Players can hop in a Big Bertha cargo truck, a helicopter, ATV, and even ride a Dirt Bike. While Warzone has seen many wild crossover strategies with vehicles, such as putting a Sentry Gun on Big Bertha, this latest one is certain to take the cake. Players have discovered an amazing bug, or tactic, that turns the Dirt Bike into a guided missile that can’t be destroyed. Warzone players turn Dirt Bike into deadly missile The Dirk Bike was originally famous on Verdansk for popping wheelies and doing crazy stunts. However, this vehicle is now one of Warzone’s deadliest weapons. This Reddit clip posted by ‘MrUsername76’ showcases this new strategy with the Dirt Bike. All you need to do is strap on a C4 and get ready to go for a ride. You can see the player driving around with their own C4 attached to the bike. Things get wild when the player sees another car trying to pull up on their team. They simply drive the bike into the car and detonate the C4. Here’s the twist: the bike never blows up and the person driving it doesn’t take any damage, despite the C4 being their own. This is creating missiles on wheels, something that can be created over and over if using the Restock perk. While there is no confirmation from Activision, this seems to be a bug and an unintended mechanic as nearly every other vehicle blows up when exploded by C4. Developers Raven Software might want to take a look at this one at some point.

Warzone players urge devs to make major gunsmith change to Vanguard weapons – Dexerto
Warzone players urge devs to make major gunsmith change to Vanguard weapons ActivisionWarzone fans have called on the Raven to remove players’ ability to put 10 attachments on Vanguard weapons, arguing it is inferior and makes the battle royale less balanced. Warzone’s conflation of multiple title’s worth of content in one place has certainly led to some problems for the developers, but has generally been welcomed by players as both innovative and immersive. However, certain differences do remain between weapons from different games. For starters, they have different attachment options but, more noticeably, Vanguard weapons have always offered players a maximum of 10 attachment slots. That contrasts with weapons from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, which remain capped at a maximum of 5 attachments. Now, players are calling for the Vanguard system to be scrapped. Asking for opinions in an April 23 Reddit post, ‘Adananan‘ said that they’d prefer all weapons to be capped at 5 attachments “as it made you sacrifice attachments for others and made you think about how you want to run a class.” That seemed to be a popular sentiment, with many others echoing that five makes a sensible play style more important and improves the game as whole. One said: “5 is the superior attachment system…and it’s probably easier for devs to balance.” Another commented: “Honestly the 10 attachments thing infuriates me with the combo of guns getting nerfed/buffed every f**king week. If everything stayed balanced it would make more sense.” There were some who argued that 10 allows players to have more control of their weapons but most did appear to make the five attachment limit universal. It will ultimately come down to Raven’s assessment of the game and how the two systems compare but, even if you’re unhappy with the choice the devs make, you can cast your mind forward to the upcoming and anticipated Warzone 2.

Warzone players urge devs to finally fix parachute issues with Caldera update – Dexerto
Warzone players urge devs to finally fix parachute issues with Caldera update ActivisionCall of Duty players have urged the Warzone developers to address the issues with deploying parachutes as they want things to be more consistent once Caldera launches. Call of Duty: Warzone’s first major shake-up in quite some time is just around the corner, with the developers preparing to do away with the Verdansk map and introduce Caldera. On top of the brand-new map, there will also be quite a few gameplay changes – including the ability to return from the Gulag with the gun you used, nerfing Dead Silence, and removing Stopping Power rounds. While some fans are pretty pleased with those upcoming changes, some want the developers to go further. Specifically, many want the inconsistency around parachute deployment to be addressed, preventing players from tumbling to their deaths unexpectedly. As anyone who has dove into a game of Warzone knows, if you’re in an elevated position and are under fire from the enemy, you can usually jump away to safety using your parachute. Though, there are plenty of instances where either you’re not given the option to open it, or the option pops up too late, which leads to an embarrassing death. “Please, for the love of God, fix parachute deployment issues with Caldera,” cried Redditor TTV_xxero_foxx, who noted that Caldera appears to have plenty of verticality of its own where players will be looking to use parachutes. While some players mocked them for still dying in embarrassing fashion, plenty others supported the call. “Yeah this is super annoying. I find myself dying like this but off of buildings. Walking a ledge, fall off, and apparently your parachute doesn’t open,” added one. “I’m tired of not being able to cut the chute at a certain height. Some may say it’s realism but come on,” commented another. A handful of players pointed out that nothing was mentioned from Raven about fixing it in Season 1 of Warzone Pacfic, but they had ideas of their own for later down the line. “They should limit the number of times you can pull your parachute. And have to pick one up off a dead corpse or find one in a loot box,” suggested one player. It remains to be seen if the issue will be addressed in Warzone, but it’s clear that players would prefer if they didn’t have to worry about the inconsistency of their chutes.

Warzone players uncover confusing Fully Loaded STG 44 ammo bug – Dexerto
Warzone players uncover confusing Fully Loaded STG 44 ammo bug ActivisionWarzone players have found a confusing bug with the STG 44 while using the Fully Loaded perk, which does not equip correctly with the right amount of reserve ammo. Warzone players aren’t exactly unfamiliar with bugs, glitches, and exploits that can either make the game either absolutely hilarious or even more infuriating. With the devs returning from their holiday break, players are hoping the bugs that have plagued the game over recent weeks are patched and balancing changes are made. While the developers at Raven Software have acknowledged the “concerning” Double Barrel Shotgun meta, the latest bug that players are now hoping to be fixed stems from the STG 44, while using the fully loaded perk. In a January 6 Reddit thread, Warzone player NasEsco1399 reported that they’re experiencing a bug with the STG 44 that never receives fully loaded magazines, and instead gives them the amount of ammo they have for their SMG. “I have been experiencing a weird bug. When I select my STG loadout I never receive my fully loaded ammo,” said NasEsco1399. “It’s always the amount on screen that my SMG has. So for example, if I have 100 SMG ammo when I get my loadout, that is always what my AR ammo shows and it will now allow me to pick up any AR ammo. “When I bring my inventory screen up it says I have 210. If I drop my ammo and pick it back up it says I have 210. But my SMG ammo also goes to 210. It’s weird and has been going on since this update. I thought I was going crazy, but have had people spectating who was also confused.” While this player thought they were going crazy, others responded to the thread assuring the player they’re not alone in this dilemma. Fortunately, there is to a workaround according to another player: “Yes I have this too, I usually fix this with an ammo box.” However, the glitch may be more game-breaking than originally thought as your reserve ammo sometimes disappears according to the player: “Also when you have a gun with full ammo and you switch to something else, that reserve ammo is gone.” It’s unclear exactly what causes the bug, but with the devs returning from their festive vacations, they’ll more than likely investigate and look to iron out all bugs that have been found over the holiday season.

Warzone players turn to Rocket Launchers for long-range help after major Sniper nerfs – Dexerto
Warzone players turn to Rocket Launchers for long-range help after major Sniper nerfs ActivisionA viral TikTok shows players using rocket launchers to get long-range kills following some major issues with sniper rifles in Warzone. In the past month or so, there have been some major issues that players feel are holding sniper rifles back. Many have noticed issues with sniper hit registration, for instance, specifically noting the Kar98k as well as other Vanguard snipers. Paired with some hefty nerfs in the Season 3 update, snipers are in a rough spot. As a result, it now it seems players are using another weapon in order to get easier kills at long-range. Warzone players using rocket launchers for long-range kills In a TikTok posted by content creator “itsjibb,” a montage shows a variety of impressive kills using the Strela-P rocket launcher. At the beginning of the video, itsjibb says that “Activision messed up again” and that the rocket was “hitscan.” This means the projectile detonates all but instantly, rather than having to travel to reach its target. It’s hard to argue, as many of the kills are very impressive, with multiple kills being earned as players fall to the ground via parachute or are at insane range. What’s more, there seems to be hardly any shot leading or adjustment necessary for these kills. With frustrating issues plaguing snipers as of late, like the recent broken reticle bug that essentially got rid of any indicator lines or reticles. As the fan-favorite Kar98k continues to prove underwhelming following its nerf in Season 3, players are looking for loadouts to replace it in ranged fights. Though rocket launchers have never really been meta-defining in Warzone, the Strela-P might just be ready to make a splash on the scene. While the Strela-P boasts relatively lower damage compared to other rocket launchers, the velocity at which shots travel effectively make it an exploding sniper rifle. Still, the Strela-P has plenty of drawbacks that will hold it back in the grand scheme of things, such as the rocket launcher’s smaller magazine size compared to other weapons.

Warzone players turn final 1v1 into a Street Fighter brawl – Dexerto
Warzone players turn final 1v1 into a Street Fighter brawl Activision / CapcomWhile the vast majority of Warzone wins come down to those who have better aim and positioning, there are times where things can descend into chaos. Warzone final circles can be incredibly stressful at the best of times, but not all 1v1 are fought with guns. Ever since the game’s release, we’ve seen plenty of intuitive and even comical ways players have clutched a victory over their foes. However, sometimes you need to set your differences aside, drop your weapons, and solve your issues the old-fashioned way. Well, that’s exactly what these two players did when they found each other on the battlefield. Warzone x Street Fighter Warzone has yet to get any official Street Fighter crossover content, but that didn’t stop LordTexugo from creating his own. After finding themself in the final circle of Warzone’s solo mode, the player began to search for his enemies. After running past a small building, the player noticed that his enemy was hiding in the corner with nothing more than a pistol. Instead of outright killing the underequipped opponent, LordTexugo began to drop his plates and weapons to show that they meant no harm. LordTexugo then scoured the map for their third foe, using the Riot Shield to keep themselves safe from incoming fire. They then used the Riot Shield to hunt down the third enemy player, swiftly killing them with a lethal finisher. After securing this kill, LordTexugo returned to their newfound friend and both players dropped all of their weapons, bobbing and weaving as they psyched themselves up for the upcoming fight. With Street Fighter 2’s iconic Guile theme playing in the background, the two prizefighters began to let the real punches fly. The first round went over to LordTexugo’s opponent, who managed to knock them out with a flurry of punches before running to the next circle. However, things were far from over as the Street Fighter fan used a self revive to get themselves back into the action. After recovering from the first round, LordTexugo slid back into the fight, furiously punching his rival. However, his opponent’s combos were just too strong and they claimed a well-earned victory with a knockout punch. It’s certainly not every day that you get to see such a comical win, but for these two players, it will certainly remain one of the most memorable.

Warzone players torn as snipers get nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded – Dexerto
Warzone players torn as snipers get nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded ActivisionWarzone players have been left torn as sniper rifles just got nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded’s patch right after receiving some long-awaited buffs. Season 3 Reloaded has hit the servers as Warzone’s Rebirth Island was met with a number of changes and new additions, such as the new High Stakes event. Not only that, but this patch is also where the meta is shifting with a whole host of nerfs and buffs to weapons. One class of weapons may have been the biggest loser from the update, as multiple sniper rifles were hit with nerfs, leaving many Warzone players furious. The three best snipers in the game, the XRK Stalker, KATT-AMR, and MORS all saw some nerfs, particularly to their bullet velocity. With the MORS, the weapon with the highest pick rate between the three, receiving the most significant nerfs to its aim down sight time. “Someone just broke the news to me. I don’t know if I’ll be able to stream Warzone any longer. All snipers were nerfed,” Warzone steamer bbreadman jokingly said of the changes, with fans in his comments suggesting he switch to the Longbow instead. Others pointed out that of the snipers that were nerfed, the XRK Stalker and KATT-AMR were the “only two good snipers”. The nerfs to the snipers decreased their bullet velocity, which means the time it takes from firing the gun to your shot reaching the target will take longer, and in Warzone, where enemies are fast-moving, it’s not ideal. However, some players disagreed that the sniper nerfs were a bad thing, instead praising the changes. “Snipers are the main reason big map is dead. Snipers overall just shouldn’t be in the game. They don’t take skill at all,” one person said. These nerfs come after sniper rifles received a small buff in an early April Season 3 patch that not only added the MORS rifle but also saw quite a fair few buffs to snipers.

Warzone players “tired” of Season 2 issues start #FixWarzone trend – Dexerto
Warzone players “tired” of Season 2 issues start #FixWarzone trend ActivisionIn light of frequent bugs, hacking issues, and the current state of balance, Warzone players are coming together with a new #FixWarzone trend in order to force some key changes sooner than later. It’s fair to say that Season 2 of Warzone has had its highs and lows. From frustrating skins, to broken attachments, and even the return of the painful stim glitch, a variety of major problems have the community growing weary. Despite a highly anticipated midseason patch, very little ended up changing. In fact, a number of Warzone’s most popular players were convinced the patch notes were part of an April Fool’s Day joke. Appearing to reach their breaking point, thousands of players have banded together in a new way. With the trend #FixWarzone, veterans are aiming to force some big changes by making a splash online. It all kicked off with a message shared on the Warzone subreddit on April 4. “We are all tired of it,” Reddit user ‘SindraGan2001’ claimed after rattling off a number of gripes. “I came up with an idea to raise our voices up a bit more.” The new trend has two ways of making an impression. First, through the actual hashtag itself across social media. The other way is by flooding in-game lobbies with the ‘FIXWZ’ Clan Tag. The more players who change their tag, the bigger an impact it might have. Overall, the goal is to help provoke some kind of positive change in Warzone. While all of the most common complaints won’t be fixed overnight, changing “something” will prove the trend worked. Without much of a delay, thousands of players latched on and supported the movement. At the time of writing, the post has more than 12,000 upvotes, making it the biggest of the past week. Players were quick to change out their Clan Tags, supporting the trend and aiming to spread the message. Perhaps with enough of a takeover both in-game and online, the developers might issue a response. It took months of frequent backlash before banwave updates became a common occurrence. With enough support, the #FixWarzone trend is aiming to establish the same form of communication in regard to bug fixes and balance updates as well.

Warzone players tired of “trash” MW2 guns & hundreds of attachments – Dexerto
Warzone players tired of “trash” MW2 guns & hundreds of attachments ActivisionWarzone players have had enough of “trash” weapons from Modern Warfare 2 and are calling on the devs to make changes to the number of attachments in-game. When Warzone first started out as a part of Modern Warfare (2019), the only weapons and equipment you had to use came from that game. Since then, the battle royale has spanned a few different releases, becoming a melting pot of different ideas. That has, at times, led to some annoyances for players. They’ve been frustrated that weapons from older games are unbalanced and not as strong as they’re newer counterparts. That’s been the case again in Modern Warfare 3’s integration with Warzone, as some fan-favorite weapons from MW2 have been labeled as “unusable.” As a result, fans are hoping that the devs start to make some big changes, and that includes culling some weapons and attachments. Warzone players argue game would be better without so many attachments Yes, Warzone fans are hoping for some sweeping changes to the battle royale, starting with changes to weapons from MW2. “Why bring the MW2 weapons across when they’re all trash? It makes no sense as not one gun has been meta or viable,” asked Redditor Loud-Storage7262, adding that the MW2 guns can’t contend with some of the “insane” TTKs from MW3 picks. “Game would be infinitely better with 10% of the guns and attachments but balanced but that would not make as much money,” another added. “You can’t balance 78 different types of SMG. There’s no need to have as many guns as we do (or attachments for that matter – who needs 112 red dot sights with the same stats?) but they’ve locked themselves into this box,” another agreed. Others argued that holdovers from MW2 are there to satisfy anyone who hasn’t purchased MW3. “The MW2 guns suck because they want you to buy MW3 to level the new guns but the MW2 guns exist so they can seem to the FTP players that they have something to use,” one said. It remains to be seen if the devs will make such sweeping changes, or if they’ll just keep on doing as they do.

Warzone players think they’ve spotted a submarine hidden under the Dam – Dexerto
Warzone players think they’ve spotted a submarine hidden under the Dam Infinity WardThe fourth Season of Modern Warfare has shaken up Warzone with all-new content. As the in-game story unfolds, players believe they’ve spotted the biggest easter egg yet with a potential submarine sighting underneath the Dam. Warzone has been drastically altered in the latest season update with new items and new in-game events. The battle royale has plenty to keep players occupied with, though teasers of future changes are still appearing around the map. Not only is an enormous nuclear missile hidden away in one of the game’s bunkers, but now players are reporting submarines under Verdansk. Is this latest easter egg teasing a huge development, or has the community got the wrong idea? Let’s break down all the evidence. Submarines appearing under the Dam in Warzone? Many players believe that they’ve spotted something moving underneath the Dam. The frozen lake is inaccessible no matter how hard you try to break the ice, but hovering over the area seems to show something huge moving under the surface. This dark texture moves from one side of the lake to the other, giving the community the idea that it could be a submarine. Why would there be a sub under the map? There’s no quite telling, though it could all play into the ongoing story as numerous CoD icons join the fight against Victor Zahkaev. Are we actually looking at submarines? It didn’t take long for the community to pick the potential easter egg apart, dissecting what this mystery could actually be. Popular Warzone leak account, ‘ModernWarzone’ quickly dispelled the submarine theories, highlighting that the dark texture is merely a shadow. As clouds appear over Verdansk, they leave a shadow on the map below. These shadows appear across the map, not just at the Dam alone. Additionally, “they cover the rocks and other objects above the ice,” putting an end to the idea of a submarine moving under the map. “[The shadows] have very blocky and pixelated edges,” they said. These unpolished visuals wouldn’t be ideal if the devs were indeed teasing something new under Verdansk. While an appearance at the Dam could have been plausible, there are “hundreds” of these sub-esque shadows all over the ocean. Fans may have to direct their investigations back towards the nuclear bunkers for the time being. It’s here that Infinity Ward has been hinting at the future of the battle royale. Potentially even alluding to an all-new map coming soon. Season 4 of Warzone only just began on June 11. Here’s a full rundown on all the new additions to get you up to speed.

Warzone players think Snoop Dogg has changed Rebirth Island already – Dexerto
Warzone players think Snoop Dogg has changed Rebirth Island already Activision / Wikimedia CommonsWarzone’s Rebirth Reinforced update has altered many aspects of the fast-paced map, but players are convinced that Snoop Dogg had something to do with it as a mysterious green smoke is looming over the island. Season 2 Reloaded has players smiling from head to toe as new content hits the game. While Rebirth was the focus of this update, the community is also getting their hands on a Snoop Dogg skin in April. While people wait for that drop, they have been searching for Easter eggs on the new Rebirth map and have found keycards that open up secret locations and are giving players rare loot. However, another one was discovered and took over Reddit, as players are assured that Snoop Dogg is the reason to this, but they don’t quite know why. Warzone Rebirth Snoop Dogg Easter egg In a Reddit post by ‘thepestiIence,’ the user posted a simple screenshot while they were getting ready to deploy on Rebirth Island and now players are coming up with wild conspiracy theories. As seen in the picture, coming out of the top of Chemical Engineering, is an ominous green gas. By the looks of it, you wouldn’t want to even touch it, but fans think it’s paying homage to the Snoop Dogg skin coming on April 19. One Redditor suggested it’s there “maybe to go along with the Snoop Dogg operator,” while another was sold on it being for the rapper: “I’m assuming it’s related to the Snoop Operator skin coming in April.” People continued on about how the color green and smoke tie in perfectly to Snoop, but not everyone was buying it. Others were quick to point out that it could also be a reference to the Nebula or Nova Gas, which was added at the start of Season 2. Some argued it’s Nebula gas, but that’s only on Caldera. Redditor ‘OptimusZombiieee‘ said, “Nova 6 is developed on Rebirth Island by Stitch until Adler and the CIA show up sometime after Vietnam before the events of BOCW.” Whether you’re team Snoop or team Nova 6, it has created a fun little debate between players, and we could find out very soon what the truth behind the green gas is.

Warzone players claim Iron Trials would be perfect for solos with one major change – Dexerto
Warzone players claim Iron Trials would be perfect for solos with one major change ActivisionThe Iron Trials ‘84 mode was introduced to Warzone in the Season 5 Reloaded update, and since then has earned itself a strong core of dedicated players who want to see the mode become permanent. With increased health, major changes to Buy Station costs, and — as the name suggests — a much tougher run in Verdansk, some have argued that Iron Trials sets the blueprint for the perfect ranked mode in Warzone. Since it arrived back into the game, it has rotated through all the modes, and in the October 28 playlist update it replaced the regular Solos mode. While this change won’t make everyone happy, a lot of players think solo Iron Trials are significantly better than regular solos — despite one key flaw with it. Warzone player whereareyougoing123 says that “Iron Trials is exactly what solos needs,” pointing to how it alters the meta and gameplay styles. They said: “It’s way less campy and you can find and kill campers since Ghost is way less prevalent. Regaining isn’t difficult coming back from the gulag and unlike other game modes, loadouts aren’t crucial to success.” While the post received a lot of upvotes, there was some criticism of the mode. This, in particular, pertained to the Buy Station costs, which become even more of a struggle in Iron Trials than regular solos. “I understand why an increase to £15,000 might be required in Duos, Trios or Quads, but it’s way too much in Solos,” said DefunctHunk in a separate Reddit post. “I think in Iron Trials Solos the increase should be limited to £12,500 – still an increase from standard BR, but more achievable.” Anybody who has played Iron Trials will vouch for how difficult it can be to find enough money for the required $15,000, even in team-based modes, so it’s no surprise that some Warzone players are questioning this cost in solos. With Iron Trials increasing in popularity, we may see some changes come to the mode still — and it could look completely different by the time the Caldera map arrives in Vanguard’s Warzone Pacific.

Warzone players terrified by new “invisible” Krampus bug – Dexerto
Warzone players terrified by new “invisible” Krampus bug ActivisionAlready having a lot on their hands when fighting enemies on Warzone, players now have to deal with Krampus. That’s not all though, as players have been experiencing encounters with an “invisible” version of the monster. In an attempt to make the game more festive, developers decided to add a bit of holiday flare in both CoD’s Warzone and Vanguard in the Festive Fervor update. While the update contained the usual running through the motions that come with it, it also added Krampus. The terrifying monster was a controversial addition, as players claim that he’s been troublesome in matches and at times, losing them games. Now, the already-disruptive Christmas foe has become an even bigger problem with a new bug. “Invisible” Krampus terrorizes CoD players What’s harder to deal with than Krampus? An invisible Krampus. First brought up by Amer-X on the COD Warzone subreddit, there seems to be a bug that makes the monster completely invisible. In the video that the Redditor posted, Krampus can be seen, or not seen in this case, blocking the entrance to a door. Amer-X was rushing into the house in front of them until they realized they couldn’t enter. Curious as to what that could be, they began to shoot and realized that there was something there… Ever since the new update, Krampus has brought a plethora of problems for the community, whether it’s someone like Amer-X being prevented from entering a house, or streamer TeeP being corralled by him in the gas. Either way, it’s up to the devs to address the issue.

Warzone players suggest some changes new Payload mode desperately needs – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest some changes new Payload mode desperately needs ActivisionWarzone players have been getting their teeth into the new Payload mode. However, some of them are getting a little lonely while playing through a complete game and want to see a couple of changes. Payload is the first objective-based game mode that Warzone has integrated into the game where teams of 20 fight to escort or defend payloads from reaching the end of the route. The modes mixes in elements of Warzone with old-school Call of Duty Multiplayer mechanics and was promoted as a great to level up weapons with high-octane action, but there have been mixed reviews so far. Yet, some players are noticing that as the game progresses the lobby seems to turn into a ghost town or feel there should be more and these people want a change made. Players suggest adding fill feature to Payload One player took their frustration to social media, where they talked about Payload games resulting in a lot less than the 40 players the game started with. This player wants to see a feature added that is similar to what CoD multiplayer uses, a fill system. This would allow new players to join the lobby to help balance out the teams and seemingly make the game more enjoyable for everyone. It also solves the issue of players leaving the game early. Players would not be putting their teammates at a disadvantage for the remainder of the game if they do decide to dip out of the lobby early. However, this isn’t the only concern people have regarding this mode. A lot of commitment for a small reward Players have also been upset with how long the game feels and that it doesn’t reward you enough. One person said the mode is fun but they feel cheated, “Not to mention the small amount of XP you get at the end.” There have been reports from the community of players not receiving the amount of XP they earned so this could be a glitch. There has been no comment from the dev team on this. One Redditor said they don’t play the game mode because it consumes too much time and said Rebirth Resurgence is still their go-to mode. “I’d much rather play 2 rebirth games dropping 13-17 kills a game than play one game of payload.” They also added that Payload has too many people sitting in a dark corner waiting for one kill.

Warzone players suggest simple new feature to make teamwork easier – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest simple new feature to make teamwork easier ActivisionWarzone has all of the key ingredients to be the best battle royale in its class, but solid teamwork can often be the one thing standing between you and a victory in Verdansk. There’s no denying that Warzone revolutionized the battle royale genre when it launched back in March. The perfect balance of traditional Call of Duty mixed with innovative features saw the Infinity Ward title soar in popularity. Yet roaming the streets of Verdansk in search of an elusive victory can often be difficult when you’re not landing with a premade squad, given the obvious strains on communication. Of course, you could strike lucky and land yourself some teammates who communicate — but that’s often like finding a needle in a haystack! With this in mind, one savvy Warzone player has devised the perfect solution, so players can see their teammates’ inventory status at a glance. Essentially, under your teammates’ health bar, a bunch of icons would indicate all the important items on their person. Wondering if your teammate has Armor Plates? Glance down beneath their health bar and find out… While this is a basic enough premise, it would likely prove to be a game-changer when you and your squad are gearing up for an endgame scenario. Gas Masks are especially valuable during the dying moments of a match, so spending the extra dollar for your teammate to have one is a no-brainer. While the feature is far from arriving in-game (given that it is merely a concept), it would be a welcomed addition to players’ HUD — giving valuable information without being too intrusive. Whether Infinity Ward opt to put their own spin on the Redditor’s concept remains to be seen. But if the popularity of the idea on the Warzone subreddit is anything to go by, it is most definitely a sought after feature that the community would welcome with open arms.

Warzone players suggest possible Swiss K31 and Kar98k nerfs for Season 5 – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest possible Swiss K31 and Kar98k nerfs for Season 5 ActivisionWarzone players have floated the idea of nerfs for the Swiss K31 and Kar98k, as both sniper rifles duke it out for the title of best long-range weapon in Call of Duty’s battle royale. The Kar98k has long ruled the roost in Call of Duty: Warzone, dominating the long range warfare with its fast fire rate and forgiving recoil. Despite officially being classed as a ‘marksman rifle’ in Modern Warfare, it has found itself as the go to sniper for the player base, both casual and competitive. While it remains just as popular as it has been in previous seasons, it has found its spot under pressure from the Swiss K31, Black Ops Cold War’s new sniper rifle. It’s not quite as quick and easy to use as the Kar98k, but it’s the closest thing to it. Naturally, it has won some Warzone players over, but others have found it just as frustrating to come up against as the ever-annoying Kar98k. The result was, unsurprisingly, calls for a nerf on across social media. U/Lma0-Zedong, called for a nerf to their flinch levels. Flinch is the amount of vertical kick players experience while being shot. Currently, it is not that high and skilled players can generally keep their reticle on target even when being hit. “It’s just ridiculous that you are shooting those players and they can just tap your head easily with the lack of flinch they have,” the Redditor said. “This is very noticeable in the new Payload game-mode, where easily 50% of the players are running those 2 sniper rifles. Their chest damage is overtuned, need a nerf in that department as well, any badly placed shot breaks all your armour plates.” A number of players echoed the OP’s points, suggesting that it’s too easy for sniper-users to hit their shots. One said: “Flinch would just mean if you are engaged as a sniper, you have to be more intelligent about how you use it. You couldn’t just eat 5 bullets and shoot a headshot like you can now.” However, others countered by pointing out how low-recoil ARs can be used to laser enemies a long way off, and snipers are currently designed to offer a viable counter. It stands to reason, then, that they are strong and easy to use. Raven have done a fairly good job of keeping Warzone’s weapon pool balanced, but some believe the scales are tipped too much towards some of its better sniper rifles.

Warzone players suggest new feature to embarrass early quitters – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest new feature to embarrass early quitters ActivisionWarzone fans have come up with an idea that would embarrass players who quit on their team before everything is over, likely making them stick around a little longer. While Warzone gives you the option to find random teammates to fill your squad with, getting them to stick around and work as a functional team can be difficult – especially if they don’t communicate. If you have a bad drop and the random teammate is quickly sent to the Gulag, you might never see them again. Many are more than happy to just quit and start up another game, leaving you at a disadvantage. For a while now, Warzone fans have been suggesting ideas to stop this from happening – with many wanting a leaver penalty as we see in Apex Legends. However, some want a badge of dishonor. The topic of punishing early quitters once again came up on social media with players, again, suggesting that a leaver penalty of sorts would address the issue. Some others, like Redditor code_evans, suggested that Raven should make a tweak to player stats to add a ‘deserter’ or ‘AWOL’ stat that would stay on their permanent record and perhaps be displayed to future teammates, warning them that there may be trouble ahead. This, of course, wouldn’t affect players who lag out but if you quit out before your race is run, you’d get a strike against your name. If implemented, Raven could even add a way to search by quitter stats so you can ignore those with a tendency to run away. Other fans latched on to the idea and suggested a CS:GO-like cooldown system where if you quit a certain number of games in an hour or so, you’re locked out from searching for Warzone team games for say anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes. While many players want punishments to be handed out, it is a difficult one to balance. Warzone is just a causal game, so if you prevent players from playing, they might just go elsewhere. On the flip side, making players aware that punishments are possible if they quit out might train them to stick around longer. Though, it remains to be seen if the devs will actually do something.

Warzone players suggest more perk changes to counter new perks – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest more perk changes to counter new perks ActivisionWith Warzone’s Season 5 update bringing two new perks to the fold, some players want changes to existing crop to make things even more interesting. For quite some time now, Warzone players have set their loadouts up with the same perks – Double Time, Ghost, and Amped – with Cold Blooded, E.O.D, and Overkill getting some love at points. Ahead of Season 5, Raven Software revealed that they’d be bringing two Warzone-specific perks to the battle royale in the form of Combat Scout and Tempered. In the early days of the new season, both perks have caused issues – with players suggesting that Combat Scout is slightly too powerful given it is pretty much a legal wallhack. However, they have also been the source of some inspiration. With the new perks giving players the chance to refresh their loadouts, some fans have suggested that Raven should have a bigger overhaul in store for the pre-existing perks. The ideas come from Redditor Lma0-Zedong, who made the point that some perks may have been buffed recently, but given the new additions, those buffs haven’t gone far enough. “There are still many perks that hardly get use because the benefits they give are very niche or not that good at all,” they said. In their suggestion, a buff to Battle Hardened would help combat some of the power of stun grenades, Killchain would allow you to carry two killstreaks instead of one, and Spotter would let you refill from enemy ammo boxes. The Redditor also has three new perk ideas of their own, but it’s the buffs that got the most backing from players. “Fantastic ideas,” said one, while others had ideas of their own. “Killchain should also always give you priority air space so you never get that “unable to use airstrike” message,” suggested another. “While we’re at it could we make Ghost only work for actively moving players?” added another. Of course, any changes would come from the developers, who have to walk the fine line of making the game fun but also competitive. Plus, with all the other issues in Warzone, a rejig of perks might not be too high on their list of things to do.

Warzone players suggest major perk changes to shake up “stale” meta – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest major perk changes to shake up “stale” meta ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have called for some major changes to be made to the current crop of perks in a bid to shake up the meta and make others worth using. When it comes to Warzone’s meta, most players just focus on having the right weapons, with the right attachments, and solid grenades in their loadout. However, you can get deeper into it. Some perks are pretty useful to have in a loadout, especially stuff like Ghost and Cold Blooded where you can stay off those pesky heartbeat monitors. However, some players believe that the current meta for perks has become a bit stale and there needs to be a shake-up in order to make other perks worth using, creating more variety in the battle royale. One of the biggest suggestions came from Redditor vol4lyfe123, suggesting that Raven “drastically” rework a few perks and make them a bit more useful in Warzone. As per their idea, there would be a few perks switching categories – like Quick Fix going into slot three – while things like Hardline and Amped could be done away with. Perhaps the most intriguing of the bunch surrounds High Alert. In addition to the normal vision pulses, the Redditor suggested that it could be a counter for Dead Silence, so you could hear footsteps at a certain range. Additionally, there’s also an idea to have Battle Hardened make players take less damage from the gas. Others pitched in with their own suggestions, noting that it has become a topic of conversation throughout Warzone and that a change is needed. “The Perk Meta is way too stale right now. Hopefully we can get a perk rebalance soon,” noted one. “Ghost doesn’t need nerfed, other perks need desperate buffs,” said one player. “The concept of changing them should be done,” added another. The stats back up the idea that the meta has become somewhat stale. As per WZRanked, Double Time, Ghost, and Amped lead the way in their own perk slots but a pretty big margin. It remains to be seen if Raven would actually want to rework the perks, however. They’ve said they want to make some changes to the arsenal of Modern Warfare weapons next, so maybe its something for further down the line.

Warzone players suggest major changes for “annoying” Gulag – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest major changes for “annoying” Gulag ActivisionWarzone players want some major changes made to the Gulag, and they’ve already suggested a few fixes that Raven could implement quite easily. When Warzone first launched over a year ago, plenty of players raised concerns about the Gulag system, but it’s become a signature part of the battle royale. In Season 4, the Gulag was updated to recreate the iconic Hijacked map from Black Ops 2, but players haven’t been won over by it just yet. They’ve complained about the “terrible” audio in the new setup, as well as consistent complaints about the weapon selection, so, naturally, they want changes. Topping the list of changes they want is having a system in place where teammates can’t join the same gulag. This would speed up games and help prevent the imbalance between one team getting in the same gulag, and another not. “There is nothing more annoying than going to the Gulag with a teammate and ending up in yours alone, and seeing 1 or sometimes even 2 of your opponent’s teammates above on the killcam,” said one player. Another widely supported change was just simply making the Gulag smaller and cutting away all the unused space. While the map remakes have been cool, they’re annoying plenty of players for taking too long. “This gulag is the worst one yet. Audio is terrible, it’s way too big, and the win goes to whoever is camping their spawn.,” said one player. “Bring back the showers gulag,” suggested another. Additionally, some players want a bigger financial incentive for winning in the Gulag – says leaving with just a little bit more money than before. These come on top of audio changes and cleaning up the weapon rotation. It remains to be seen if their calls will be heard, and if Raven Software will implement some tweaks. Though, they probably wouldn’t happen overnight and would come later down the line.

Warzone players suggest hilarious anti-cheat troll to combat hackers – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest hilarious anti-cheat troll to combat hackers ActivisionWarzone players have suggested a hilarious anti-cheat system to Activision, which would be sure to tilt any cheater and see their hacking efforts rendered futile. As Warzone’s cheating problems continue – with hackers becoming almost a standard in every lobby – more and more players are leaving the game for other well-known battle-royale titles. While many players have left, some haven’t given up hope and are still eagerly suggesting their ideas to the developers. It’s already been announced that Warzone is expecting a pretty big overhaul, which will include a long-awaited anti-cheat with the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard in November, new and creative ideas on how Activision should combat cheaters are being suggested, and the latest idea is absolutely brilliant. With Warzone’s cheating issues being prevalent for quite a long time, players are understandably upset with Activision’s lack of action, but that didn’t stop players from beginning to put forward their ideas. Some ideas could be taken seriously, and could potentially become a reality, but some are obviously just to have some fun, which brings us to the latest suggestion. Mr Gibbon’s popular suggestion would see an invincible bot joining the lobby with only one goal: hunting the hacker down. “Imagine if the anti-cheat was a bot that had one mission: drop into the game, target the hacker, and eliminate! As soon as the mission is done, they leave the game. Oh, and they have unlimited health.” Of course, this is a very unlikely approach that the Warzone devs would take with their anti-cheat, but it’s pretty fun to imagine how it would tilt the cheaters that are continuously wreaking havoc in Verdansk. Its thousands of upvotes and appearances on Reddit reiterated just how popular it seemed to be. There’s not long left until Warzone’s anti-cheat drops, which will hopefully prompt the return of the game’s most loved content creators.

Warzone players suggest Fortnite revive feature to be added in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest Fortnite revive feature to be added in Season 4 Epic Games / Infinity WardCall of Duty players have called for one of Fortnite’s features to assist downed teammates to be added to Warzone ahead of the upcoming season. Warzone is currently one of the most popular battle royale titles and since its launch on March 10 it has been contending with some of the longer-standing games in the genre such as Apex Legends and Fortnite. However, despite its success, some Warzone players have suggested that it might be even better with a new feature taken straight from Fortnite. As seen in most battle royale titles, players in Warzone are given a brief period to be revived after their health bar drops below zero in-game, outside of the solo playlists, where they can slowly shuffle their way to cover. However, as there is little they can do in this vulnerable state and are typically picked off with ease, particularly when out in the open, some fans suggested different ideas that could work in Warzone to counter this. One player, u/LeCloutGoat, shared that it should be possible to put away your weapons and carry teammates on your shoulders when they are downed, similar to the feature which was added in Fortnite Chapter 2. While the suggestion received mixed responses from Warzone fans, another Reddit user, u/Bricksandivy, highlighted an alternative that would give your teammates a better chance at survival. They shared that instead of carrying your teammates to safety or hoping that they could crawl behind cover, you could simply drag them at an increased speed to safety, possibly preventing opponents from confirming the kill and allowing for more outplay potential in long-range gunfights. It is not uncommon for battle royale games to introduce new features, that are similar to those of their rivals, and has been seen in the past such as when Epic Games were called out after adding respawn vans or for using similar skins to Apex Legends. Infinity Ward has also added features that appear to be inspired by their competitors, with the new loot bunkers resembling some of the weapon vaults found in Apex Legends and Fortnite as well.

Warzone players suggest changes for “BS” stun grenades giving free kills – Dexerto
Warzone players suggest changes for “BS” stun grenades giving free kills ActivisionWarzone players are calling on Raven to nerf stun grenades, with many claiming they do not have sufficient counters and almost always result in death. Balancing is crucial to any multiplayer game, offering players a diverse pool of weapons, equipment, and perks to suit any playstyle. Warzone’s Season Five update, like any major patch, will bring a number of changes to the battle royale. However, stuns have thus far been omitted from the patch notes, much to the disappointment of players. There have long been debates about their relative power in Warzone, with many suggesting they are too strong and can decide gunfights too easily. A Reddit post from u/MadDog_8762 summarized a number of players’ grievances, calling for a counter to be added and stating that they render the stunned player powerless. “Stuns should NOT be such a fight-determinate,” they said. “Honestly, Stuns are MORE powerful than a Semtex, as at least a Semtex you have to be precise to STICK it to guarantee a down with it. Stuns, simply throw them in the same area code, and you have a free kill on someone.” Other players echoed the fan’s comments, with one saying: “Stuns are complete BS. The range of them is insane, they render someone useless for 5+ seconds, and you can hold two.” However, a number of PC players suggested that aim assist is a counter in itself, and that mouse and keyboard players struggle more given their lack of it. Others also pointed to the strength of Heartbeat Sensors, and suggested that Stuns need to be powerful to match other equipment options. It’s certainly a fine line for the devs to walk. Stuns need to feel worthwhile, but stunned players also need a chance of survival after being affected. We all remember the nightmare of trying to overcome Ajax’s 9-Bang in Black Ops 4, when your character would randomly throw their hands to their face despite already being blinded. At least Warzone’s stuns aren’t as bad as that.

Warzone players stunned by secret change that gives Cluster Strikes aimbot – Dexerto
Warzone players stunned by secret change that gives Cluster Strikes aimbot ActivisionWarzone players have seen a new era come with the Pacific update. However, a secret change to Cluster Strikes has fans shocked as they track you forever. Killstreaks can play a huge role in a Warzone player’s path to victory as these can provide intel and even take some enemies out. Purchasable at Buy Stations, streaks can be found from high-tier loot like Red Doors, these streaks are very powerful. One of the strongest, the Cluster Strike seems to have received a massive change and the devs never made note of it. Warzone players shocked by secret Cluster Strike change The battle royale has changed quite a bit with the Warzone Pacific update, but apparently not every change has been mentioned by Raven Software. Warzone players have noticed that Cluster Strikes have been quite powerful ever since the new season started as they never seem to miss. Since when are cluster strikes heat seeking? First the planes have aimbot, now these LOL pic.twitter.com/lNoZhmWgg5 — Steven (@LensEffect_) January 2, 2022 In a tweet posted by a player, you can see that they ran a great distance away from the strike with the stim mechanic, but still were downed from the missiles. LensEffect said that they feel that clusters can’t be outrun anymore and are locking on to them no matter how far. Warzone pro and the game’s highest earner, Tommey chimed in, agreeing with the claim that the streak was secretly changed. They’ve always followed the player but they’ve definitely buffed how much they track now. — 100T Tommey (@Tommey) January 2, 2022 Before, when a cluster was called in, the missiles would only track a player for a limited distance. But now players are claiming that this deadly streak is raining firing and locking onto you no matter how much you try to get away. This means that in the late game, Cluster Strikes are extremely valuable as there already isn’t a lot of space to run around in. There was no mention of this change in any of the Warzone patches and members of the community were shocked that this was even implemented.

Warzone players stunned by grandma’s “disgusting” combat bow triple kill – Dexerto
Warzone players stunned by grandma’s “disgusting” combat bow triple kill Activision/TacticalgammaA Warzone-playing grandma has once again made waves on TikTok after landing a triple kill with the combat bow, impressing everyone in the lobby. The combat bow is one of the most powerful weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. With the power to one-shot enemies from miles away, it’s extremely lethal in the right hands. As it turns out, a grandmother by the name of “Tacticalgramma” has more than enough skill to not only wield the precision-based weapon, but look at lot like Hawkeye from the Avengers in the process. Taking to TikTok, Tacticalgramma showed why she’s one of the craziest content creators out there and why players shouldn’t underestimate her despite her age. Grandmother stuns Warzone lobby with insane snipe If you had only one bow and your team consisted of Legolas, Hawkeye, and Tacticalgramma, who would you give the weapon to? If you picked anyone besides Tacticalgramma, you need to watch this clip. Armed with the explosive combat bow and stationed on the top of a building, the elder aimed and fired her shot at a vehicle full of enemies. The end result was magnificent, securing the triple kill, team wipe, and destroying the vehicle in the process — all while her squad cheered her on. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load “You’re so disgusting!” one of her teammates laughed. “You’re out here whooping people with that thing.” Gramma popped off too, shouting “let’s go” in glee at her literally explosive shot. Next time you’re queuing up for some Warzone, keep your head up, because there’s a chance a literal grandma could have you in her crosshairs and it’s only a matter of time before you’re sent to the gulag.

Warzone players still furious with Caldera visibility ruining their matches – Dexerto
Warzone players still furious with Caldera visibility ruining their matches ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have, again, hit out at the game over blatant visibility issues in Caldera, claiming the inability to see enemies is getting them eliminated. Despite the anticipation many had for Caldera and Warzone Pacific, it’s fair to say that the majority of the Warzone community has been left underwhelmed by the transition to a sun-soaked jungle environment. Glitches and bugs have been so prevalent that Activision have apologized and developers Raven have admitted the game is so ‘bloated’ that isolating fixes is nigh on impossible. Now, players are criticizing the game’s map design and color palette, claiming that locating enemies in the greenery is far more difficult than it was in Verdansk’s urban environment. Player ‘ant8752‘ criticized the game’s map and colors, saying “It’s f**king impossible to spot enemies”. They also hit out at the map’s design, saying that the number of positions and levels players can access make it even more difficult to know where enemies are, and encourage ‘camping’. They continued: “Seriously whose idea was it to put 100 possible levels where an enemy could be? Whose idea was it to put every POI on the outskirts of the map? Whose idea was it to put 100,000 trees on the map? Whose idea was it to put 10000000 cracks and crevices where people could hide? Seriously is there any counterplay to this sh*t than to just camp?” Plenty of players echoed the comments, with one joking: “I agree with you 100%. Hell, when I’m watching a streamer and they are like “there’s a guy right there,” I’m staring at my screen like, “where the f**k are you talking about.” Other players also hit out at texture bugs, with Caldera and Rebirth Island’s failure to load properly making enemy conspicuity even harder. Raven are yet to respond to the problems but, with Warzone 2 confirmed as in the pipeline and being developed by Infinity Ward, fans can rest assured that a return to a different environment is coming.

Warzone players still desperate for equipment & grenade buffs in Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone players still desperate for equipment & grenade buffs in Caldera ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are still desperate for some buffs and changes to their equipment, especially when it comes to smoke grenades. With Warzone constantly being updated and tweaked, some of the most-requested changes from fans end up making their way into the battle royale before long. Over the last two years, fans have managed to get overpowered weapons tuned down, they’ve seen killstreaks undergo a few overhauls, and even been able to get character skins changed because they’ve been too difficult to spot. Despite that, some calls for changes have still gone under the radar. That includes buffs for the different tactical equipment that you can choose to get a leg up in gunfights, with many fans wanting smoke grenades to get some love. Warzone fans like Equivalent_Minimum94 reignited calls for a smoke grenade buff, suggesting that its current size when deployed is simply too small to be effective on Caldera. “It was designed around multiplayer, where it works fine. But in Caldera, like Verdansk, the map is just far too big and the smoke grenade has a far too small area of effect,” they said. “Doubling it’s radius and making it last 50% longer would be very helpful to squads.” Plenty of players agreed with the suggestion, noting that other battle royales like PUBG have made smoke grenades imperative if you want to win. One fan even suggested a smokescreen killstreak. “Having a defensive/tactical option like this could lead to some interesting plays and help counter gatekeeping on rotations,” one added. Other players piggybacked off those ideas with calls for changes to other pieces of equipment. “They need to buff every non-stun tactical (besides heartbeat obviously), or just nerf stuns,” commented one player, claiming that stuns make other grenades “totally inferior.” Obviously, some players are able to make their equipment work, but bringing them all up to a similar level would increase the variety and make Warzone a little more tactical. Though, we’ll have to wait and see if Raven decides to do anything.

Warzone players think they’ve spotted teasers for Season 4 night mode – Dexerto
Warzone players think they’ve spotted teasers for Season 4 night mode Infinity WardInfinity Ward could be set to introduce a night-time playlist in Warzone as players have begun piecing together subtle hints from the latest Season 3 teasers. Almost three months into Warzone’s release and the hugely-popular battle royale is gearing up for some major developments. While players dissect countless easter eggs in the newly opened bunkers, and cryptic messages hint at an explosive in-game event, the build-up to Season 4 is in full swing. The latest promotional material might have just outed one major addition in the next big update. A night-time playlist has been sought-after for many weeks, and it could now be right around the corner. A May 27 teaser trailer may have put the spotlight on Captain Price as the next playable Operator in Warzone, but there could be more to learn from the 60-second video. “Bravo Six, going dark,” the iconic Call of Duty character says as lights in the background change from red to green. Obviously this is a classic line from Price, one featured in the original Modern Warfare trailer as well. In the 2019 reveal, gameplay switches to night-vision footage as he issues the command. While night-vision goggles aren’t in the Warzone teaser, perhaps we can expect a darkened version of Verdansk in Season 4. It seems all too fitting for the dialogue to be repeated here with the introduction of Price as an Operator. New images have also appeared on Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher for Warzone players on PC. This promotional material shows Price front and center with a distinct color change in the background. The map is currently bright and sunny with a pale blue sky. Instead, this new image depicts his trio emerging from Bunker 21 as a notably darker tone hangs over Verdansk. Many players believe this might be a fully-fledged night-time version of the battle royale. The new colors could purely be to separate Season 4’s visuals from the blue, gold, and red style of Season 1, 2, and 3 respectively. However, it could very well be our first look at a future version of the Warzone map after some catastrophic – perhaps nuclear – event comes to pass. Only time will tell just how things transpire on the way to Season 4. You won’t have to wait much longer as the content drop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3. Keep an eye out for any new teasers that may appear in-game, from creepy noises to brand new healing items, it could all be revealing what’s next.

Warzone players split over zombies event returning in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone players split over zombies event returning in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone players have found themselves divided as Raven Software have teased an upcoming zombies event in Season 4 on Rebirth Island. With humble beginnings in World At War, battling the undead has mostly remained an enjoyable experience as the Call of Duty franchise has evolved over the years. However, bringing the undead into Warzone has had mixed results over the last few years. As the devs prepare to shake up the battle royale with Season 4, Warzone players remain skeptical as Raven Software teases another zombie-themed event. Warzone players ask for “proper” Modern Warfare zombies In a blog post addressing what Season 4 will bring to Warzone, Redditors were quick to notice that the developers left a clue for zombies returning in Season 4. Raven Software said that “there are strange rumors concerning an undead surge” regarding the midseason update. While a specific event has yet to be announced, the tease suggested that it will be “the ultimate test for Operators coming online.” Following the last attempt to merge zombies with Warzone, Redditors are split over their return to the game. Warzone players like Jayt32 didn’t hesitate to be critical of the last zombies event: “Honestly the way they did zombies in Verdansk was pretty stupid.” Others have shared this perspective, adding: “I seriously hope the f*** not. Zombies in a warzone is a dumb idea.” However, many players are cautiously optimistic for another undead battle, with some requesting the devs to “make a proper “Modern Warfare Zombies” mode.” While seasoned CoD developers Treyarch aren’t involved with the progression of Warzone, Redditor Faulty-Blue feels that they missed a vital opportunity: “Still disappointed Treyarch never made modern-day Verdansk as a playable map in BOCW Outbreak.” Fortune’s Keep is the latest map to arrive in Warzone, taking the place of the ever-popular Rebirth Island for a brief period. The battle with the undead is expected to arrive once Rebirth returns.

Warzone players split over ‘unusable’ sniper that has only just been added – Dexerto
Warzone players split over ‘unusable’ sniper that has only just been added ActivisionCall of Duty players have been left split over the newest sniper to be added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone – the XRK Stalker – as some believe it is ‘unusable’ right now. Whenever a new seasonal update for Call of Duty comes around, the devs typically add at least one new weapon to the mix. That has again been the case in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1, with the Ram-7, Stormender, XRK Stalker, HRM-9, and TAQ Evolvere all being added as new options. When it comes to Warzone, the Ram-7 and HRM-9 have quickly become part of the meta. Players have especially been hyping up the Ram because of how much it reminds them of the Verdansk days, balancing deadly assault rifle power with the swift mobility of using an SMG. However, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for all of the new guns. In the case of the XRK Stalker, some players absolutely love its speed and power in multiplayer, but others claim it is ‘unusable’ in Warzone. Warzone players divided on XRK Stalker sniper That’s right, players are a bit split on whether or not the newest sniper is actually any good when it comes to the battle royale, and those who believe it’s not a good option aren’t best pleased with the devs. “I don’t get these dev companies. Brand new sniper and it literally isn’t even usable unless you are trying to self-handicap with a bolt action sniper that doesn’t 1 shot,” complained one player. “Are we really going to have 1 mediocre sniper rifle that works? Other than the very niche MW2 snipers that only work with explosive rounds so you can’t snipe past like 50m.” “Make all bolt actions one shot, and adjust their ability to ADS quickly/bullet drop/velocity etc accordingly to make each one a bit unique,” agreed one player. “Just want WZ1 sniping. Nothing more, nothing less,” another added. Some, though, called it a “good” option right now. “Low-key would rather a new gun be released and be useless than it have a 50% faster TTK than anything else in the game like new guns typically are like,” argued one. “Probably my favorite sniper in MP tbh. Feels like almost zero hit markers and way faster handling than the Katt,” added another. When Season 2 rolls around, it could be a weapon that the devs revisit for changes, especially if there are increased calls for a buff. Though, we’ll have to wait and see.

Warzone players split over Gulag’s most “annoying” feature – Dexerto
Warzone players split over Gulag’s most “annoying” feature ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are divided by one of the Gulag’s most irritating features – stun grenades – and whether Infinity Ward should look at removing them entirely. Infinity Ward’s venture into the battle royale genre has garnered over 30 million players within its first 10 days. 150 player lobbies, an innovative in-game economy system and a fresh take on respawning — the developers certainly pulled out all of the stops. However, it is the latter (more specifically the Gulag) which has players vexed. Warzone’s first ditch attempt at respawning, where players go head-to-head in an intense gunfight to the death, has sparked debate about a basic feature. The issue that has got Warzone’s players arguing, is whether stun grenades should be permitted in the Gulag whatsoever. Players spawn with a random loadout, typically designed for close-quarters combat. And in such a small area, players are becoming increasingly frustrated that stuns are included within the Gulag meta. A simple search on the Warzone subreddit shows that plenty of players are against the inclusion of the feature. One Reddit user even claimed that it is a “death sentence as soon as it hits you” in their post. Another player claimed that their use in the Gulag requires “no skill” by protesting that throwing stun grenades revolves entirely around luck. Although Tigermanner raised a valid point, some within the community were quick to defend the use of stun grenades, such as one Redditor who commented on the post stating: “See I’m okay with grenades and claymores, since a grenade is easily dodgeable.” While in another post on the subreddit, plenty were quick to throw stun grenades under the proverbial bus, with one player commenting: “My main gripe is just stuns; if I get stunned there’s nothing I can do. I literally can’t look around or anything for like five seconds. Remove stuns and Gulag is a million times better.” GuyOw aptly summarized their thoughts on their typical Gulag interaction, while also expressing their frustrations with the meta. “I understand having a grenade to flush out camping, but [right now] it feels like the first person to throw their stun wins.” On the same side of the fence, another player insisted that stuns were “too strong” in the Gulag, which seemed to reiterate the general consensus (after receiving 92% upvotes), with a fellow Redditor agreeing and labeling their use as “annoying.” It appears that the use of stun in the Gulag has the vast majority of the Warzone community divided — with some advocating their use, while others are calling for Infinity Ward to take action. The votes are in: Stuns out! Call of Duty players have spoken… Stuns should be removed from Warzone’s Gulag. A whopping 9,070 votes saw a landslide 70% of the Battle Royale’s players voting against stuns — which echoes the thoughts of plenty in the Warzone subreddit.

Warzone players split on Rebirth Island health & TTK changes in Season 3 – Dexerto
Warzone players split on Rebirth Island health & TTK changes in Season 3 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have been a bit divided over the new health changes, especially on Rebirth Island, with some labeling it as “annoying” for changing the pacing of matches. Both the initial Season 3 update and the mid-season Reloaded patch have changed Warzone in quite significant ways as players have had to ditch some of their favorite weapons and alter their playstyles. One of the biggest changes across both updates came during the mid-season patch, with Raven Software increasing health in all modes not named Iron Trials – giving players the base health of 150 rather than 100. Naturally, the massive change has gone down a hit with some players, but left some fans pretty annoyed – especially when it comes to games on Rebirth Island. Warzone stats guru JGOD ran a poll on Twitter focused on how the health change has impacted Rebirth Island games. As of writing, 64% of players are pleased by the change, but the 36% that aren’t are pretty vocal in their opposition. “Huge L Bro. Rebirth is meant to be fast-paced and high-action,” said one. “It’s annoying really.” Another player noted that they believe it’s an “L” because players now “camp more” in matches. “I feel like it’s messed with the overall flow of the game and made it even easier for 4 stackers,” said another frustrated fan. I personally like it a lot. Rewards accuracy and less likely to just get insta-deleted. — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) May 31, 2022 The YouTuber himself is in favor of the change, saying: “I personally like it a lot. Rewards accuracy and less likely to just get insta-deleted.” He’s not alone with that take either. “Anything that raises TTK is better,” agreed one player. “I hate getting killed by someone crouching in the corner.” Another stated: “Love it, rewards skill rather than just who shoots you in the back the fastest.” While another fan added: “I’m happy if it means I don’t die before I even know I’m being shot.” There are plenty of players who want the developers to increase weapon magazine sizes and certain damage ranges with regards to SMGs to adjust to the new health, though, only Raven can make a call on that.

Warzone players split on massive increase to lobby size – Dexerto
Warzone players split on massive increase to lobby size ActivisionWarzone players have been left split by the upcoming increase in the size of lobbies, with some claiming that the battle royale is actually going “backwards” with the change. While the formula of Warzone has stayed the same over the last few years, the battle royale has undergone some pretty big changes. Never mind all the constant map and weapon changes, the size of lobbies have also been tweaked quite a bit. At the start, back in 2019 with the reboot of Modern Warfare, you could have up to 150 players in a lobby. That was expanded further with limited-time modes that increased things to 200 players per game. In recent games, that lobby size has dropped down to 100 players – no matter if you’re playing solos, duos, or quads. And while the devs are pushing things up to 120 players in Warzone Season 4, some fans aren’t overly pleased with that. “Put BR back to 150 players and get rid of all of the ways you can come back. It should be either you win your gulag, or your teammate buys you back. Stop trying to make BR so similar to resurgence,” one player said after Raven Software confirmed the return to 120 player lobbies. “When WZ first came out it had 150. This game is only going backwards,” another added. “For everyone happy for this added player count, realize just how much worse servers in-game will be now. They already can’t handle it. This will turn out more negative than positive I think,” commented another. Naturally, some fans saw the other side of things and were more positive about the upcoming change. “It’s a good start. I’d like to see them tone down the regain mechanics a bit on Urzikstan, but the increased max player count is welcome,” one argued. “About damn time. Though it’s gonna be interesting to see how this plays out with all the regain mechanics,” another added. Some fear that lag and cheaters will also increase with the addition of more lobby slots, but we’ll just have to wait and see how things shake out.

Warzone players split on leaked KAR98K nerfs coming in Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto
Warzone players split on leaked KAR98K nerfs coming in Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionCall of Duty fans have been left split after Warzone expert Metaphor revealed the supposed changes coming to the KAR98K in Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded. When it comes to iconic weapons in Warzone, the KAR98K is the battle royale’s signature weapon. It ran riot in the early days of Modern Warfare and Verdansk, and even did serious damage in Caldera as well. The rifle was removed from Call of Duty for a few years between titles but made a return in Season 4 of Modern Warfare 3. It’s naturally become a fan-favorite in Multiplayer and Warzone again, but the devs are already lining it up for a nerf. That nerf is set to come in Season 4 Reloaded, and, according to Warzone expert Metaphor, the KAR will see its aim assist, damage to different body parts, bullet velocity, and fire rate all being tweaked. “I’ve been told they’re nerfing the fire rate, velocity, aim assist, and the damage range on it. They are killing a lot of the stuff on this gun,” the YouTuber added. “I’m hoping it’s still going to be good, but I am in favor of a nerf.” Naturally, players were quick to weigh in with their own takes, and the only real consensus is that the meta needs sprucing up a little – especially when it comes to snipers. “Some of the nerfs are fine but IDK why the devs are so adamant on keeping the other snipers bad,” one fan said. “As a KBM player, this is awesome! Not really a huge nerf to me at all, especially as a resurgence player. It just forces you to be more accurate,” another commented. “I don’t think I can go back to using a regular sniper,” another player replied. “I just want a diverse meta. KAR is fun but OP. Everyone is running kar98+Superi including myself. It’s getting boring,” another added. We’ll have to wait and see if Metaphor’s ‘leak’ claim comes to fruition when Season 4 Reloaded rolls around come June 26.

Warzone players split on “best” AR after massive nerfs to fan-favorites – Dexerto
Warzone players split on “best” AR after massive nerfs to fan-favorites ActivisionWarzone players are split on the “best” assault rifle in the battle royale following a number of recent changes to the meta, but they’ve got a few standout options. Even though the Call of Duty community is looking forward to Modern Warfare 3 and everything that will have to offer, there have still been a fair few changes to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. The CoD battle royale has seen its meta change a fair bit following the changes, with the likes of the powerful Lockwood 300 shotgun and TR-76 Geist rifle undergoing some serious nerfs. A few SMGs and other ARs have started to climb up the rankings as a result of those changes, but when it comes to the latter, players are split on what they one they think is the most dominant in the game. Warzone players split on “best” AR to end Season 6 For some players, the Kastov 545 is their preferred option, however, they have complaints about its range. “It needs range buffing attachments,” stated one player, who also suggested that the M4 is a “solid middle ground choice” now. Others, though, prefer the Tempus Razorback and STB 556. “STB 556 with 20′ brun barrel, 42 mag, v4 aim op, FTAC grip, komodo muzzle. Thank me later, TTK is crazy, no recoil,” said Redditor LowKickMT, adding it’s the “best” AR they’ve used in a while. “Crazy no one is recommending the Tempus Razer. Better TTK than the K762 and get easier recoil to manage with the Proto Grip and stack vertical recoil muzzle,” added another. Some Warzone experts have even gone back to the ISO Hemlock after its buff while another, Metaphor, suggested that the Lachmann 556 is now “overbuffed” due to everything else being nerfed. As per WZRanked stats, the Kastov 762 remains the go-to option for most, however, that’ll all change when MW3 takes over and Warzone goes through yet another update. So, whatever you’re rocking now, enjoy it, and savor it.

Warzone players split on Al Mazrah as they prepare for Urzikstan map – Dexerto
Warzone players split on Al Mazrah as they prepare for Urzikstan map ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players are bidding their farewells to Al-Mazrah as we get closer to Urzikstan taking over, however, they’re still split on the map after all this time. When Warzone first launched as a part of Modern Warfare back in 2019, it only had the one map – Verdansk. The original Verdansk is the one that most fans have the most nostalgia for and, naturally, compare every subsequent map against. Al Mazrah joined the fray as a part of the integration with Modern Warfare 2 and, at least initially, brought back some of those Verdansk vibes. Though, it wasn’t long before players got frustrated by it and wanted something new. With the integration between Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 not too long away, and a new map in the form of Urzikstan coming soon, some players are bidding farewell to Al Mazrah. However, there is a bit of a split. Warzone players bid farewell to Al Mazrah For some players, including Redditor GroundbreakingKey964, Al Mazrah was viewed as a “great map in a bad game” and was “fun” because of the layout and varying POIs. “No stupid mechanics like fog or canals everywhere. It was simple yet great. “Definitely the best map in WZ2 and this will get me some s*it but I almost think it’s a better map than Verdansk.” they added. Others agreed. “I liked Al-Mazrah; not too dense not too open. I like the vibe,” said one. “I’ve always liked the map personally. Verdansk will always be #1 but Al Maz is so far ahead of Caldera,” added another. Some players, though, didn’t take too kindly to it being ranked above Verdansk by others. “Nope. Al Mazrah is bad map. Awful design. So much open space,” argued one. “Terrible map. And terrible that they didn’t really seem to make the appropriate adjustments to it,” another added. “It’s not as good as Verdansk but it’s infinitely better than that which I won’t even name,” commented another player. It remains to be seen how Urzikstan will compare with those maps that have come before, but at least players will be able to retreat to Rebirth Island before long if they’re not taken by it.

Warzone players speechless as glitch randomly sends them to the Gulag – Dexerto
Warzone players speechless as glitch randomly sends them to the Gulag ActivisionIn Warzone, people that die are captured and sent to the Gulag, but a new glitch is punishing players and randomly sending them there during matches. One of Warzone’s staples is the Gulag which serves as a second chance for players to earn a victory in the battle royale. Even though it has seen many different forms, the basis remains the same: win your 1-on-1 gunfight to redeploy on the map. While the Gulag isn’t accessible until you die, a new bug is ruining matches and sending players there without warning. Warzone glitch abruptly sends players to Gulag The Warzone pacific update has brought new life to the game but players have not been happy as of late due to an overload of bugs and this one is taking the cake. This Reddit posy by ‘Papermetr0’ has the community mindblown as Raven Software’s game is just randomly sending players to the Gulag. In the clip, you can see the player just minding their own business, picking up a few kills, and rotating around the map. But if you blink you’ll miss their screen go black to then reveal them going to the 1v1 arena. One person doesn’t even know what to say at this point, “Not even surprised anymore.” Another sarcastically added, “How can you just not love this game.” Players are just piling this onto the list of known issues on Caldera that is seemingly ruining the Warzone experience. JGOD thinks that these issues can lead to players quitting if the devs aren’t quick on their toes to fix it. However, this Gulag bug has players questioning the game and really pondering if it’s still worth grinding Warzone as they await necessary fixes in the battle royale.

Warzone players slam “unplayable” game over Season 2 Reloaded lag issues – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “unplayable” game over Season 2 Reloaded lag issues ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have asked Raven Software for a few fixes, especially going the way of lag, as some have experienced “crazy” issues following the Season 2 Reloaded update. Warzone’s Season 2 Reloaded update ushered in some pretty big tweaks for the battle royale, with Rebirth Island going under the knife for some ‘reinforced’ map changes and a handful of popular perks being nerfed. While it’s been pretty well-received, seeing as the update has prompted a few shakeups to the way players attack games and build their loadouts, it has also caused plenty of headaches as well. Players have noted that there are a few fair bugs rearing their head again, including texture issues on Caldera, but they’ve also run into some problems regarding lag and hit registration too. Plenty of Warzone players across social media have aired their frustrations with the lingering problems, questioning if it’s specific to them or the community as a whole. Recently came back to the game after not playing for a few months and every single game on Caldera has been really laggy,” stated Redditor DonRegan25. “Stuttering around, items coming out of chests in slow motion, people stuttering back and forth in fights.” Others quickly noted that they’ve witnessed the same thing, despite not having any connection issues. “On high-end pc, and I can attest for a fact that the lag is real,” said StrifeWavy. “Was fine before they took out the April Fools Playlists’. Good Old Warzone! Something simple changes? Something major breaks.” Others stated that the battle royale has become “unplayable” due to the constant stuttering. Some players haven’t even been able to get into games to experience the lag, though, as they’ve been kicked out during the warm-up period. “Every match, without fail. Rebirth, BR, Plunder, I’m literally unable to play the game,” added ghostgaming367, who asked if Raven were playing a “sick joke” on them. Lag and hit registration problems have lingered in Warzone for quite some time, and while the devs have quelled the complaints before, it remains to be seen if they’ll be able to do so this time around.

Warzone players slam “unplayable” Ashika after Halloween changes – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “unplayable” Ashika after Halloween changes ActivisionWarzone players have been left seriously frustrated by changes to the Ashika Island resurgence map for the Halloween event, questioning what prompted the devs to make the decisions they have. The Haunting Halloween event has, by and large, been received well by Call of Duty fans, especially all of the Souls rewards available and Vondead bringing a fun new element to Vondel. While Ashika Island hasn’t been quite as popular as Vondel in terms of the newer resurgence maps, it still has many players who drop in each day and prefer the gameplay on that map — but now their loyalties are being questioned. With the Halloween event, Warzone devs Raven Software have made the maps darker in certain playlists or, in Ashika’s case, added fog to the map, something that Vondel players have frequently complained about in the past. Warzone players frustrated by Ashika fog One player, Aziz89, took to Reddit to complain about the new fog on Ashika Island, which limits visibility and can last throughout the entire match, calling it “unplayable.” “You can’t see anything,” they explained. “I land most of the time between teams & die immediately. The fog is even worse than DMZ & doesn’t add any aesthetics. Players are literally 5-10 meters away & I can’t spot them.” They added that “This is IW cheap way of adding ‘content’ and ruining [the] gaming experience for everybody.” Many of the comments were in agreement with the issues presented, calling it “absolute trash” and complaining that fog is one of the reasons they’ve been avoiding playing Vondel. One player, however, called it part of the “typical Warzone lifecycle.” They said: “They end up destroying the game 2 months before the next game comes out to force people on the ‘superior’ product.” Fortunately, the fog is only for The Haunting and on Ashika at night, which means players shouldn’t have to put up with it for too much longer if it really is ruining their experience.

Warzone players slam “terrible” Diamond camo design in Season 1 – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “terrible” Diamond camo design in Season 1 TreyarchCall of Duty: Warzone players have expressed their anger over the way Diamond camo looks in Season 1, calling it disrespectful to those who spent hours unlocking it. Warzone has just been given its biggest ever update. Season 1 of Treyarch’s popular battle royale, which dropped on December 16, introduced a brand new map, Rebirth Island, as well as a series of new weapons including the Mac 10 SMG and the Groza Assault Rifle. The new season seems to be going down very well with longtime fans, but one thing that’s dampening the experience for some players is the new Diamond weapon camo design, which has been brought across from Black Ops Cold War. Fans will know this particular blinged-up camo is one of the most difficult to unlock in the game. It takes hours of dedication, and should be something players can proudly show off to highlight their achievement. Read More: Warzone’s new Resurgance mode explained – Unfortunately, the Diamond camo design in Warzone leaves a lot to be desired, and truly pales in comparison to the Black Ops Cold War design above, which was far more stylish. You can see it for yourself in the video below. Here’s how the Black Ops Cold War Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter Ultra mastery camos look in Warzone 👀 pic.twitter.com/U2xBcud6Gt — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) December 16, 2020 Warzone fans hate the “terrible” Diamond camo The main problem seems to be that the ‘diamonds’ on the camo don’t really look like diamonds at all. They lack shine or texture and are more comparable to stone, which certainly takes away from the ‘prestigious’ nature of the design. Fans have already taken to social media to share their frustration over the “terrible” new Diamond camo design, with many saying they’re simply refusing to use it in Warzone. https://twitter.com/Judoteki/status/1339120462274699264 One player accused Warzone of ‘disrespecting’ the Cold War version of Diamond camo, while another questioned, “How does a camo that takes HOURS… that was ALREADY MEDIOCRE compared to [Black Ops 4’s] diamond… LOOK LIKE THIS?” A third chimed in: “On the snipers, specifically the Barrett, it looks horrendous. I can’t use it.” How… does a camo that takes HOURS… that was ALREADY MEDIOCRE compared to BO4’s diamond… LOOK LIKE THIS?@Tony_Flame I’ve been defending yall since launch, but bro..? Did we playtest this at all??? pic.twitter.com/HQ1TbHXUlK — BrotherJaxon ⚡️ (@BrotherJaxon) December 16, 2020 https://twitter.com/endurAAABH/status/1339151264064659462 While this is purely a cosmetic frustration that doesn’t affect gameplay, Black Ops Cold War players are facing a bug in Zombies mode that’s broken the Pack-A-Punch upgrade tool, leaving them almost defenseless in the face of hordes. Warzone players slam Season 2 Reloaded update claiming Rebirth “isn’t fun anymore” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Season 2 Reloaded update claiming Rebirth “isn’t fun anymore” Activision / AppleWarzone Rebirth Island players are furious with the Season 2 Reloaded update after finding more “sweaty” demons who are plaguing the mode and ruining the fun of the map. The Season 2 Reloaded update came out on March 23 with a focus on revamping the fast-paced Rebirth map. With new POIs, easter eggs, and weapon blueprints, Raven put a lot of emphasis on Rebirth. However, this is causing an influx of players to load into the mode, which is making casual fans begrudgingly discover how bad the last update actually was for the game. Warzone Rebirth players say update ruined the fun In a Reddit post by ‘link1189’ the user talks about how the Season 2 Reloaded update is taking away the fun of the small map. Link claims that “Rebirth is now full of sweaty players,” which is due to the fact that Raven mainly targeted the mode with this mid-season patch. Causal players think that this wasn’t good for Warzone as those that just want to relax on Rebirth and play with friends are unable to do so. Another said, “the casual exodus, as I like to call it, is causing the lobbies to be filled with sweats. Thus, triggering even more casuals to leave.” When some Redditors asked casual players to just “try harder,” they said that’s not where the fun comes from. They claim that sweating “sacrifices general fun of the game because they need to win at all costs.” While some people will say that winning is fun, it seems the casual side doesn’t get the same rush out of that. It seems to be a trend in the mode, seeing as Warzone players were complaining about “ratty” campers infesting the game just a week ahead of the Reloaded patch.

Warzone players slam “ridiculous” Gorenko sniper recoil after Vanguard update – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “ridiculous” Gorenko sniper recoil after Vanguard update Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone & Vanguard players have already got their hands on the new Gorenko sniper rifle in private matches ahead of the update, and some are concerned the gun’s recoil is too overbearing. Warzone Pacific & Vanguard Season One is on the cusp of releasing and players are preparing for all the new content that’s set to arrive. Although there’s a lot of excitement for the new Caldera map and fresh battle pass, as always, a lot of the community is focused on the two new weapons. With one of them being the Gorenko anti-tank sniper rifle, players were intrigued whether the hard-hitting weapon could be competitive in the Warzone meta. Unfortunately, after gaining access to the gun in private matches, the community is concerned with the weapon’s “ridiculous” recoil. Warzone players claim Gorenko’s recoil is “ridiculous” Although the Season One update hasn’t gone live just yet in Warzone and Vanguard, players are able to access the new weapons ahead of time in private matches. It wasn’t long before the community started testing the Gorenko to see if the new sniper was going to be viable in Warzone. While the rifle deals a serious amount of damage, players have criticized the weapon’s recoil, calling it out as “ridiculous”. As showcased by echinuggi in a clip on the CODVanguard subreddit, multiple shots in a row result in the players firing vertically up in the air, making it almost impossible to control. While some Warzone & Vanguard players admitted that an anti-tank rifle would probably perform like that in real life, they questioned why the devs wouldn’t alter the recoil for gameplay purposes: “I mean, if you fired a 14.5mm cartridge that fast, you’d probably lose all functionality of your arm, so I guess this would be preferable IRL. It still looks ridiculous, though.” Others voiced that they hope the kickback would be fixed in the official patch coming on December 8: “Hope this gets fixed when warzone’s update comes out.” Either way, it’s clear that the weapon could be useful at long-range in Warzone, but it’s unlikely to be contesting top spots of the Kar98k or Swiss k31. For now, we’ll have to wait and see whether the devs decide to tweak the recoil or force players to take slow and singular shots with the Gorenko.

Warzone players slam Numbers event as “embarrassing” and “lazy” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Numbers event as “embarrassing” and “lazy” Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone players have voiced their frustration over the ongoing Numbers event, claiming all of the challenges are “low effort” and “lazy”. Although Warzone receives huge content updates every single season, they’re not regular enough to keep the community busy between each patch. So, to keep players engaged, Raven Software introduces limited-time events that come with exclusive challenges and rewards. Well, on September 21, The Numbers event began in-game and tasked players with traveling to various Mobile Broadcast stations across the Verdansk map. After completing all of the challenges, the community was not impressed with the event and have even labeled it as “embarrassing” and “lazy”. Warzone players disappointed with “terrible” Numbers event The reaction from the community has not been positive when it comes to the new Numbers event, with players disappointed at how little impact the challenges have on the game. On September 22, a day after the event went live, TheDudeofDudez voiced their frustration on Reddit about the simplicity of the challenges and how boring they are to complete. It’s obvious the player base was expecting this event to have an impact on the gameplay, or at least include a unique animation or instance. However, in its current state, it’s just a case of visiting a Mobile Broadcast station and listening to a set of numbers. “Walk up to a van and press a button, hear some numbers and that’s it, nothing cool happens, must have taken them 5 minutes to come up with and implement”. Countless other players in the thread agreed with TheDudeofDudez’s comments, even expressing how the audio from the event was interfering with the standard gameplay in the BR modes: “Love just randomly getting audio that interferes with my ability to hear people”. As a whole, it’s clear the player base was expecting a lot more from this event, especially considering it’s so close to the official release of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Let’s hope Raven is holding back ready for the upcoming integration, as that’s looking like their best opportunity to impress the community.

Warzone players slam new Season 2 Reloaded playlist rotation as “worst one yet” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam new Season 2 Reloaded playlist rotation as “worst one yet” ActivisionWarzone players have called out the devs over new Season 2 Reloaded playlist rotation, claiming it’s the “worst one yet.” Call of Duty Warzone players are finally able to dive into Season 2 Reloaded. The new season includes a variety of content for fans to unlock, master, and more. The new season will run from March 6, 2024, the fourth and final rotation ending on April 3, 2024. These changes include multiple buffs and nerfs to various weapons and gameplay elements as well as some brand-new guns such as the Soulrender and SOA Subverter. However, a major part of the playlist rotation is, you guessed it, the way in which the devs change up what maps can be played, how large squads can be in each match as well as old and new game modes. While fans were initially excited about this change up and reintroduction of the Vondel Battle Royale mode as it would bring back the fan-favorite Ashika Island Resurgence map, some players have turned their excitement into frustration after discovering what additional changes the devs made to the map rotation. Fans have taken to social media and various forums to slam the devs for various new changes including restricting player counts for all maps. In light of this, some Warzone players have begun calling this new rotation the “worst one yet.” One X user (formerly known as Twitter) slammed the new rotation list, stating, “what the absolute f**k are those resurgence playlist rotations, oh boy…” Another added that these new rotations are “sooooo bad. They literally hate us.” A third called out the devs and questioned, “So what’s the point of having a rotation playlist if they just shove the worst map ever made on quads?” In light of these concerns, Raven Software recently issued a message on social media platform X, hoping to clear up some of these initial concerns from fans. “To recap the plan: All four squad sizes are to remain available for the next month. Each week, each squad size will be paired with a dedicated map,” began the dev team. “Throughout this process, we’ll be collecting detailed data on the performance of our Resurgence offering, allowing us to consider how to better optimize our playlist to satisfy the widest range of players possible. Following a full rotation like the one that we’ve announced provides us with a clear, fixed stream of data to analyze Resurgence optimally.” They then finally added, “As always, we remain committed to fostering a community-driven environment and appreciate the ongoing feedback from our players as we continue to fine-tune the massive game that is Warzone.”

Warzone players slam new Last Call LTM’s “frustrating” performance issues – Dexerto
Warzone players slam new Last Call LTM’s “frustrating” performance issues ActivisionDespite positive reception to Warzone’s new LTM mode, Last Call, players slammed the mode’s “laggy” and “frustrating” performance. Warzone’s Season 5 content arrived on August 24, 2022, bringing changes to Caldera and a new Limited-Time mode. The new LTM, Operation: Last Call, is a spin on Call of Duty’s classic Search and Destroy mode. Unfortunately, some players have had trouble playing Operation: Last Call, slamming its laggy performance across platforms. Operation: Last Call LTM’s performance issues Multiple posts on social media platforms and online forums cropped up after multiple players experienced severe lag during play. A post on the CODWarzone subreddit showed the issue in action via a short video clip, where one player struggled to even move during gameplay. After one player asked if the original poster was on PS5 and using WiFi, they responded that they were “on ethernet, on a PS4” with reasonable speeds. Reddit user Knight-112 said “Same issue on PS5 for me. And I’m using Ethernet. I’ve had this problem for the past week but today it’s insane.” Of course, simply having an ethernet connection is not a catch-all for slow WiFi issues. However, the general consensus from commenters seems to be that internet speeds aren’t an issue, but rather the mode itself is hampering performance. “When the volcano meter goes up the game just breaks like this,” said Turigerimi, noting the performance issues seem to come from in-game situations. A different thread popped up on the same subreddit, with players calling the performance “annoying” and “frustrating.” “It sucks ‘cause I feel like I’d really like this mode, but it’s tough to get through with the stutter [and] lag as it is right now,” said car362. With any luck, Raven Software will take note of fan outcry and roll out a fix to smooth out performance issues so players can fully enjoy Operation: Last Call.

Warzone players slam “invisible pay-to-win” skins ruining Season 4 matches – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “invisible pay-to-win” skins ruining Season 4 matches ActivisionWarzone players have slammed Raven over the inclusion of “invisible pay-to-win” skins ruining Season 4 matches, as controversy rises over the ‘Roze 3.0’ Night Terror Florence skin. Warzone players are no stranger to frustratingly inconspicuous operator skins, with the Roze skin long-occupying a controversial spot in the CoD battle royale’s meta. There was widespread rejoice when it received a major nerf to become more visible in Season 3 Reloaded, followed by collective sighs when the Night Terror Florence skin dropped just a month or so after. Part of the Violet Stealth bundle in Warzone, fans have been lamenting its inclusion, with many even referring to it as “Roze 3.0.” Its dark colors and sleek design make it very difficult to see, especially in shaded areas of Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep. Capturing the mood aptly was player ‘Silver-Anybody5086‘, who said: “Screw these invisible Pay2Win skins…” Attached was a clip showing an enemy, predictably using the Night Terror skin, become next to invisible when prone in a shaded area atop one of Caldera’s many towers. The pursuing player, despite being the aggressor, was quickly outgunned after being unable to identify the pesky and nearly-invisible enemy. Other Redditors quickly flocked to the post to sound their support and it sits at nearly 2,000 upvotes at the time of writing. One player agreed: “[I] love how they keep nerfing the Rose skin like it’s still a problem and letting other skinny dark invisible man camos go by, [it’s] as unfair as ever.” Many also took issue with the price tag, with the Violet Stealth bundle setting players back approximately $24 (£19) to unlock. Given its in-game benefits and how hard players find it to detect, it’s not a surprise to see it being branded “pay-to-win.” Here’s hoping it receives a similar nerf to the Roze skin and becomes more balanced moving forwards.

Warzone players slam “game ruining” Marco 5 movement speed bug – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “game ruining” Marco 5 movement speed bug Warzone Pacific Season 4 introduced an exciting new SMG: the Marco 5. The initial excitement devolved into anger from the community, however, as players discovered a potentially game-breaking bug for the weapon and other Vanguard SMGs. The Warzone Season 4 update made several new additions such as Fortune’s Keep, and the Marco 5. Warzone players TimTheTatman, IceManIssaac, and NICMERCS even came out and praised the new update. Despite the strong start for Fortune’s Keep and overall positive reception, a bug affecting the Marco 5 and Vanguard SMGs makes them vastly outperform other SMG options in the speed department. Warzone player OpTic Zlaner even created a Marco 5 loadout that basically “breaks the sound barrier” with how fast you can move. The Marco 5 can almost out-walk other SMGs Reddit user elipson made a Reddit thread and claimed based on data from sym.gg that players using the Marco 5 can almost walk faster than players using the Modern Warfare CX-9 while tactical sprinting. The image below shows that while Tactical Sprinting with the Marco 5, you are moving 11.1 meters per second compared to just 7.2 meters per second while using the CX-9. By just walking forward with the Marco 5 you are able to move 6.8 meters per second. An extreme gap in distance covered time gives Marco 5 players an advantage in outrunning enemies or running away from engagements. One user believes that the bug was caused by a Taped Grip change and said, “they even mentioned it in the patch notes but the Taped Grip change is supposed to be ‘movement speed now increased to 5% but it is clearly more than 5%, and more like 15-20%.” It seems that all Vanguard SMGs were affected as another user added that the “Mp40 and Sten can hit 10 m/s since the Taped Grip buff too.” Whether or not this is an intended feature or not remains to be seen but, if not, expect to see developers Raven Software make some changes as soon as possible.

Warzone players slam game-breaking animations in The Haunting event – Dexerto
Warzone players slam game-breaking animations in The Haunting event ActivisionWarzone’s The Haunting event has huge cross-screen animations and loud sounds that trigger at random. Though it might be fitting for a Halloween mode, players are fuming at the new game-breaking effects. The seasonal update for Warzone resurrected a fan-favorite limited timed mode with The Haunting. Raven Software cautioned players in the patch notes that this year’s iteration would “set aside traditional competition for a true test of resolve amid fear.” They even added an additional (and literal) warning that the spooky LTM would feature frightening situations, flashing lights, loud sounds, and unexpected shocks. This year’s ‘The Haunting’ mode was clearly made to prioritize fun and scary gameplay amid Warzone’s other playlists. But fans aren’t keen on the latest changes. Warzone players slam The Haunting animations “Thank you Activision for making this very fun game mode,” one player sarcastically wrote. “These animations are not annoying at all.” Their attached clip showed one of The Haunting’s special animations for the event with a flaming skull ripping across the screen before they were gunned down. It’s one of the new effects in the special mode that Raven warned about but its direct impact on gameplay can instantly end a run. Read more: CoD Mobile Season 9 Nightmare update – In that instance, the player was even using an ultrawide screen where they were able to peak around parts of the skull until it took up the entire monitor. NRG Warzone pro Joseph ‘JoeWo’ Wohala saw one of these moments and was equally dumbfounded since it led to his death shortly after as well. These are intentionally intrusive animations that are integrated into the gameplay. Maybe that’s something players will learn to love throughout the Halloween event but people are currently slamming the devs for more than one reason. “The part that bugs me is how low quality the animations are… like wtf?” another player said. “This is Activision. They have enough money to make it high quality.” The Haunting will run until November 2 in Warzone and we’ll see if Ravensoft takes early feedback for quick fixes to the once-beloved game mode.

Warzone players slam game as “unplayable” over Xbox Game Pass cheaters – Dexerto
Warzone players slam game as “unplayable” over Xbox Game Pass cheaters ActivisionWith Modern Warfare 3’s launch on Xbox Game Pass, Warzone has seen an enormous surge in cheaters once again, with many players now labeling the CoD Battle Royale “unplayable.” Nine months after the closure of Microsoft’s historic $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty is now on Xbox Game Pass. There was plenty of speculation in the surrounding months, with even Microsoft questioning whether to bring the juggernaut FPS series to its subscription service. Now with Modern Warfare 3 available as of July 24, and this year’s new release, Black Ops 6, set to be available on day one with its October 25 launch, speculation has been put to bed. However, now that plans are in motion, not everything is going according to the script. In light of Modern Warfare 3’s arrival on Xbox Game Pass, a new issue has come into focus. Those playing on PC through the Microsoft Store are being shown as Xbox players in-game. An Xbox logo appears next to their name in lobbies. Due to this incorrect identification, cheaters on PC are able to mask their cheats by looking like Xbox players. Multiple prominent content creators, including the likes of JGOD, and our own sister site Charlie Intel, have all reported an uptick in cheaters of late. In particular, many of these cheaters are seen with the Xbox logo next to their name, even though most cheats stem from PC. While cheaters are nothing new, this time around, the surge in pesky players seems to be skirting around Activision’s radar. The RICOCHET anticheat system isn’t catching them in its net, and devs are yet to publicly comment on the matter. Naturally, many non-cheating players are sounding the alarm while fleeing the game in droves. “Ran into five different cheaters in five different games last night,” one chimed in. “It’s ridiculous,” another concurred. “Basically unplayable. Almost impossible to stay alive on the ground and barely even get to it. Forget about getting your loadout,” one player added. With Season 5 in full swing, you’ll have to be careful as you drop into lobbies over the coming days. Should Activision address the matter, we’ll be sure to update you here with further details.

Warzone players slam “extremely frustrating” removal of Plunder in Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “extremely frustrating” removal of Plunder in Season 4 Reloaded Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone players have criticized Raven and Activision for the removal of Plunder from the battle royale, calling it “extremely frustrating” and claiming it should be permanent. Call of Duty’s Warzone, like other battle royales of its size, has benefitted from the inclusion of limited-time-modes (LTMs), that diversify the gameplay on offer. One of the most prominent LTMs in Warzone has been Plunder, a mode revolving around accumulating cash in the midst of a grand battle. However, in Season 4 Reloaded, it has again been removed from the game. While we expect to see it back in the near future, fans of the mode have voiced their disappointment and called for it to be made permanent. Warzone fans demand Plunder return in Season 4 Reloaded Raven have previously said that they’re cautious of having too many LTMs on offer at once, so it’s only normal for certain options to be rotated in and out. With such a dedicated player-base in Plunder though, many players are frustrated. Redditor eightyfps simply stated that Plunder should be “permanent” in Warzone, saying: “I hate it when I come back home from work thinking about chilling playing Warzone… and Plunder isn’t even in the playlist. There are people who just want to chill and relax. If any dev is reading this PLEASE keep Plunder in playlist.” There were multiple other posts to that effect, all with hundreds of upvotes. Another blasted it as “extremely frustrating” and echoed the sentiment that standard BR modes are taken far more seriously by the players playing them. Plunder, though, offers a more casual experience and caters to those looking to play with their feet up. A third memed the situation, joking that they switch off Warzone if they log on and Plunder isn’t even an option. It’s certainly a balance the devs have to strike, with too many playlists leading to a confused and split player-base. Plunder though, in the eyes of many, should always make the cut. Raven have not responded to the criticism but we do expect to see the popular mode back in the rotation in the very near future. Whether it ultimately becomes permanent is another matter.

Warzone players slam “disappointing” Godzilla vs Kong event – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “disappointing” Godzilla vs Kong event ActivisionWarzone Operation Monarch has finally brought Godzilla vs Kong into the popular battle royale game, but players aren’t happy with the new event. The Warzone Operation Monarch limited-time mode sees Godzilla and Kong tear their way through Caldera. These monolithic monsters can make short work of any Operators that dare to attack them, but the giant kaiju never fight amongst themselves – an area that has disappointed many of the game’s community. These frustrations have also been highlighted Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, who branded the update “awful,” while Dr Disrespect gave the event a “solid 2.2/10.” So far, it’s clear that the playerbase was expecting a lot more from Operation Monarch, with the Godzilla vs Kong LTM being dubbed as “clickbait.” Warzone players frustrated over Godzilla vs Kong event This disappointment largely stems from the original teaser trailer, which depicted both Godzilla and Kong duking it on Caldera. Watching these colossal beasts trade blows with their signature moves would have been a real spectacle, but so far, the event has kept their interactions completely separate. “At this stage, I don’t understand how anyone can look at any trailer/artwork and expect the product to be anything like that,” said one disgruntled Warzone player. “This game has been nothing but a constant disappointment since the Cold War integration.” Instead of featuring the iconic fight from the promotional material, both beasts simply wander around Caldera seemingly avoiding one another. In fact, their attention is purely focused on players that dare to get in the way. However, even the interactions with human opponents can lead to some bugged encounters. “We were in the final circle and Godzilla was totally away from the zone,” explained another commenter. “He was looking in the opposite direction of the players who were still alive, and Kong was still stuck near Peak inside the gas doing absolutely nothing.” Whether the developers have anything exciting planned for the end of the event remains to be seen, but for now, Operation Monarch has left the Warzone community disappointed.

Warzone players slam devs for making fan-favorite AR “obsolete” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam devs for making fan-favorite AR “obsolete” ActivisonSince its introduction in Modern Warfare 2019, the M13B has established itself as a beloved AR. But after three straight nerfs, Warzone community members are mourning its fall from grace. Accepting the harsh reality of every weapon not being viable in a battle royale is a tough pill to swallow. There are 58 weapons in MW2 and only about three or four are viable every Warzone season. The devs do their best to nerf and buff weapons regularly, but there is always a well-defined meta. Players are more than welcome to use their favorite gun even if it isn’t considered one of the game’s best options. And success is still possible by mastering the weapon’s ins and outs, but players will most likely run into problems when going head-to-head against a stronger option. For example, the M13B has been near the top of Warzone’s meta several times yet recently fell out of favor. Consecutive nerfs now have the fast-firing rifle completely out of contention, and fans have lost hope in the weapon ever being strong again. Three straight M13B nerfs outrage Warzone fans On October 23, the Warzone devs released a balancing update that nerfed the M13B’s close damage and torso damage multipliers. The AR also saw its head and neck damage multipliers increased, but the slight buff wasn’t enough to satisfy fans. One player took their frustrations to Reddit, claiming: “Yet another nerf to the M13 making it even more obsolete than ever before. They just don’t want anyone using this gun anymore, and I don’t understand why.” Nerfs to the Kastov 762 and TR-76 Geist opened the door for a new long-range meta king, but it won’t be the M13B. Instead, and much to the chagrin of the OP, the M4 is poised to take the throne after receiving a slight buff. One player accepted reality and argued: “There’s like 60-something guns in this game. Absolutely no way of keeping guns from being obsolete when there’s that much balancing required.” “I’ve been rocking the same few weapons through both nerfs and buffs since the beginning. They feel good to me.” This player has decided to use their favorite weapons even after a nerf and has had no issues doing so. A third community member complained: “My favorite gun has become useless.” The devs will have their hands full in MW3, attempting to create a balanced meta with MW2 weapons carrying over. Warzone players slam devs for decreasing Massive Resurgence player count – Dexerto
Warzone players slam devs for decreasing Massive Resurgence player count ActivisionThe Warzone devs controversially decreased Massive Resurgence’s player count from 150 to 100, and community members flamed the decision. In 2020, Patrick Kelly, Studio Head at Infinity Ward, told USA TODAY in an interview that they had 200 player lobbies working in the studio and were playtesting the higher player count. The vision never came to fruition, with Warzone 2 only supporting 150 player lobbies. Before the battle royale sequel launched, FaZe Swagg followed up with the Warzone devs in April 2022. Swagg asked Raven Software if there were any plans for 200-player lobbies. Senior Warzone Creative Lead Josh Bridge revealed: “We love the idea [but] technical challenges” held the change back. Raven Software ended up going one step further and decreased Warzone’s player count on Al Mazrah down to 100 from 150 in April. And now, Massive Resurgence suffered a similar fate, driving the player base crazy. Warzone players question Massive Resurgence name after change To explain Al Mazrah’s player count decrease back in April, the devs argued: “We’re reducing the number of players across our core Battle Royale modes, which will prevent the match feeling too chaotic but provide improved matchmaking times, faster pre-game lobbies, and a better quality of match overall.” On October 18, 2023, the Warzone devs followed suit by announcing: “We’ve just released an update that adjusts the Massive Resurgence player count from 150 to 100.” It’s unclear if Raven Software has the same motivation behind this change, but community members couldn’t agree with the choice. As previously mentioned, FaZe Swagg has been at the forefront of pushing for increased player counts. The streamer responded: “The biggest L. yall hate fun i stg.” Fellow content creator TheTacticalBrit added: “This doubles down to me that 100 players appear to be a performance problem, not a fun-related issue. Their servers literally cannot handle more than 100 without terrible performance.” Other community members fear the worst for Warzone’s future, as WZ streamer Smixie bid farewell: “We had a good thing. 150 will be missed.” In saying that, Raven Software has not yet revealed its plans for Warzone’s player count in Modern Warfare 3. We are sure to learn more ahead of the battle royale’s expected December release.

Warzone players slam Cold War Halloween event: “Way worse than last year” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Cold War Halloween event: “Way worse than last year” ActivisionWarzone players are expressing their frustration with the Haunting event en masse, claiming that it’s notably worse than the 2020 version of the Halloween event. The Haunting arrived in Warzone in the October 19 update, bringing with it the spooky new modes and cosmetics that Call of Duty has become known for at this time of year. While the incredible cosmetic bundles of famous horror characters such as Donnie Darko and Scream have been well-received by players, the actual event itself is struggling to have the same effect. In fact, within just a few hours of going live, there were numerous complaints about the event, including the scary animations and how poorly it fares compared to the Modern Warfare Halloween event. In 2020, The Haunting of Verdansk divided players, but much of the community sentiment towards it was positive. Players generally enjoyed Zombie Royale, and even just the night-time BR mode freshened up the game for some. Read More: The Haunting challenge guide – However, during the Cold War Halloween event, players aren’t quite experiencing the same thing, and numerous fans have pointed out how much they believe it is worse than the Modern Warfare Haunting event. Following the event going live, a litany of Reddit posts were published expressing disappointment, and all shared the same sentiment: It’s just not as good as last year’s offering. One even said that they’re already “fed up of it,” saying that the event is “f**king annoying” and “a trash version of last year’s event.” Above is just a small insight into the numerous posts that popped up on the Warzone subreddit in the immediate aftermath of the event launching, and the complaints have been almost nonstop. Whether devs Raven change anything before the event ends on November 2 remains to be seen but it’s fair to say some players aren’t particularly happy.

Warzone players slam cheaters making final weeks of Verdansk “unplayable” – Dexerto
Warzone players slam cheaters making final weeks of Verdansk “unplayable” Ahead of Call of Duty Vanguard’s launch, Warzone players believe that more cheaters are descending on Verdansk to make the final few weeks “unplayable” before the RICOCHET anti-cheat is around. With the release of 2021’s CoD title Vanguard on the horizon, there is a slew of changes coming to Warzone, with the most notable being the release of Activision’s anti-cheat: RICOCHET. While many players are thrilled at the chance of making a fresh start and getting away from cheaters, that isn’t going to happen for a few weeks yet. In the meantime, as players wait for the anti-cheat to arrive, some believe that there is an influx of cheaters in Warzone that are making the game simply “unplayable” for the time being. The release of RICOCHET is close, but it looks as if cheaters are getting the most out of the time they have left. Complaints about lobbies being ridden of cheaters have become even more prominent from Warzone fans following the reveal of the Caldera map. One Reddit post titled “anti-cheat can’t come soon enough,” explained that players encountered a cheater in both games they played and that their lobby even had two hackers fighting for the win at the end. “Just played two games on Verdansk – and we had cheaters in both games. The first, we got killed by two different hackers, who ended up fighting for the dub,” they lamented. The feeling that the anti-cheat needs to arrive already was mutual, as commenters shared their recent experiences. “I played for 3 hours tonight and we found cheaters in literally every single game. Quads, trios, rebirth…they were everywhere,” said another Redditor. Another post asked if it was just them experiencing an increase in cheaters. “Is it just me or were there a lot of hackers tonight? 5 back-to-back games of blatant hackers. Two of those games had multiple hackers,” they said. “Game is completely unplayable,” replied one user. Some players believe that cheaters are looking to make the most of the time they have before RICOCHET is live, but who knows if that will truly clean the lobbies up.

Warzone players slam Caldera audio issues making it impossible to hear footsteps – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Caldera audio issues making it impossible to hear footsteps Activision / SteelSeriesWhile playing Warzone it is essentials to use audio cues in order to figure out where enemies are coming from. But players are complaining as that is nearly impossible on Caldera. The new era of Warzone started on December 8 as a new map, weapons, and update took over the battle royale. Since the new map takes place in a World War II setting, there are tanks, planes, bombing runs, and more. These vehicles and other ambient noises are making it extremely difficult to hear footsteps as Caldera is being compared to a real-life battlefield. Warzone players can’t hear footsteps on Caldera As people continue to grind out the new Warzone island they have realized how tough it is to make out sounds, especially footsteps. This Reddit post by ‘Scubasteve1006’ perfectly used a Spongebob clip to describe how loud Caldera can be with all the planes and explosions. One Redditor said, “After playing this map all day I swear I could hear the airstrike planes while falling asleep.” Another added, “I spent 2 minutes running around in a house thinking that the plane explosions from afar were some enemy footsteps.” Even Warzone guru JGOD brought this up in a YouTube video claiming that it is very hard to hear with all the background noises. “All those explosions sound like footsteps it’s kind of wild. They need to tone that down a little bit… All the ambient noise is way too loud.” Topic starts at 7:12 for mobile viewers However, in the December 10 update, Warzone devs did address this issue and sent out a patch to lower “aerial gameplay elements.” Despite this players are still complaining about how loud Caldera is and that they still are confused by which sounds are what. At the time of writing this, Raven Software still has this issue marked on their Trello board. This could mean that this patch was a small step toward fixing Warzone audio and there could be another update that lowers it even more for players that are on the ground.

Warzone players slam “brutal” AMAX nerf in Season 3 Reloaded – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “brutal” AMAX nerf in Season 3 Reloaded The Warzone Season 3 Season Reloaded Update has received a lot of positive feedback, but a harsh buff to the CR-56 AMAX has players scratching their heads. As far as weapons go, the CR-56 AMAX is a reliable Assault Rifle that offers great damage and precision. Steadily the gun has fallen out of the meta in favor of more recent Cold War and Vanguard guns. The STG44, Cooper Carbine, XM4, and Kilo 141, just to name a few, are selected at a much higher rate than the CR-56 AMAX. With other ARs being selected more frequently, it leads to the question of why the CR-56 AMAX was still nerfed. Warzone CR-56 AMAX nerf branded “brutal” by players As seen below, the Season 3 Reloaded update decreased the CR-56 AMAX’s max damage to 31 meters, down from 35 and the minimum damage decreased to 24 meters, down from 31. A Reddit thread, from user DefunctHunk_COD, said: “The most brutal, unnecessary nerf in Warzone history? Did the AMAX deserve to be made completely useless?” One user pointed out that “at this point, I’m convinced they’re intentionally nerfing the Modern Warfare and Cold War guns to make the Vanguard ones meta to drive sales/bundles.” The comment received over 100 upvotes. Another person added: “Totally unnecessary and baseless nerf. The AMAX meta build now has approximately 1.2 seconds time to kill over 34 meters and even inside 34 meters the time to kill isn’t competitive at all.” The CR-56 AMAX has not been a completely meta gun since its initial introduction in Call of Duty Modern Warfare, but like many other Modern Warfare guns, they are eventually phased out by newer additions to the game. We’ll be the first to let you know if players ever get their wish and the CR-56 AMAX returns into the fold as a meta Assault Rife. Though, based on recent changes, that doesn’t look likely to happen any time soon.

Warzone players slam “broken” finisher animations making guns float – Dexerto
Warzone players slam “broken” finisher animations making guns float ActivisionWarzone players keep finding new problems in the fan-favorite battle royale and this time around someone has spotted an operator wielding the power of the force in a broken finisher animation. It’s no secret that Warzone has run into a fair share of animation problems over the years. From the forever-frustrating gas mask interruptions to unbelievable recoil flares that completely stop you from collecting a kill, it’s just a part of the game that players accept when they load in. This one doesn’t have as much of a gameplay impact as the other two, but for these fans at least, it certainly raises some questions about the state of the game. Warzone has a big finisher animation problem In this particular example, it’s all about form rather than function. Unlike some other bugs with finisher animations, this one still works just fine, but it looks completely wonky from start to finish. When a player initiates their gun appears to take on a life of its own and float in the air, completing the job without the operator ever having to pull the trigger. The first person to point this out asked how the Warzone devs could manage to mess this up to, and the comments are full of players sharing their own experiences with similar problems. One commenter added that when using Charly, their finishing animation is so busted that it looks like she’s hurting herself more than enemy. “Her finishing move is flipping the enemy over, stabbing them with a knife, and then shooting them with a pistol. [Except] I stab myself in the back, and shoot my own foot,” they said. Another person added that it’s a pretty widespread issue and that it’s not necessarily limited to the basic one as seen above: “Most of my finishers are bugged. I have the lumber jack one and my operator holds a knife the whole time.” It’s not likely that these will get a big fix before the release of Warzone 2, but there’s always hope that the sequel will take care of these kinds of odd immersion-killers whenever it arrives.

Warzone players slam Activision for “wrongful” Overwolf bans – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Activision for “wrongful” Overwolf bans ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have noticed a wave of bans when running popular video recording software, Overwolf, on Windows 11. With Call of Duty’s newest installment, Vanguard, just around the corner, players have been flocking back to the title’s battle royale, Warzone, in order to get into the spirit. Vanguard will introduce all new maps to the fray, including one based in the Pacific. Some players, though, might not be able to play it through no fault of their own. After receiving a permanent ban while running Overwolf’s Windows 11 Insider, one player has sparked quite the debate. Warzone players banned using Overwolf on Windows 11 Voicing their frustration on Reddit, one angry player warns “do not use Windows 11 and Overwolf at the same time.” “After getting permanently banned a few weeks ago because of a well known and apparently rather common issue – that being that if you attempt to open Cold War while Overwolf is open and you’re running an Insider build of Windows 11 – I have finally received a response from Activision telling me that despite being innocent, they cannot unban my account,” they write. “They have acknowledged the error in the ban, but are refusing to lift the ban as all bans are final.” “If someone from Activision ends up reading this, sort your game out,” they conclude. “I’ll admit, I should have done some research into Windows 11 before upgrading but who the hell would assume that having the newest OS and a popular Video Recording software would result in a ban…? It doesn’t even cross someone’s mind.” Warzone players hit back at Activision As hinted at in the original post, this is an issue that appears to plague others who are also running the game on Windows 11. “Good post! I switched to 11 and bam! Got perma banned.. I’ve spent the last week grinding and Activision offer no solution for it… Just goes to show you how backwards Activision is!” fumes one commenter. “Insane they are not unbanning when [they] confirmed faulty ban,” states another, while a final response notes “I can’t wait for the wave of wrongful bans that will follow Ricochet’s release…. And probably 99% of them will not be reversed.” Overwolf respond In an October 26 Medium post, Overwolf addressed the ongoing ban issues. Writing: “Dear Call of Duty players, we are aware of a number of users who have been banned after playing Cold War and Warzone on Windows 11 while using Overwolf,” Overwolf copywriter Liri Katz goes on to explain what that the platform is making adjustments to combat the issue. While highlighting that Overwolf “are not responsible for the bans… We have released an update to our games list to change the way the Overwolf overlay works and will no longer trigger a ban from Activision while using Windows 11. It’s important to note that in the 24 hours following this change, we have not had any new ban reports.” Additionally, the team are “working closely with the very top levels at Activision, and we’ll do whatever we can to help those whose accounts have been banned. We can’t promise it will work, but we’ll give it our best shot.” As the issue continues to cause havoc, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not Activision choose to reverse the bans.

Warzone players slam Activision amid claims cheaters are “on the rise” in Season 2 – Dexerto
Warzone players slam Activision amid claims cheaters are “on the rise” in Season 2 ActivisionWarzone players have hit out at publishers Activision over the anti-cheat system RICOCHET, claiming that the battle royale’s hacking situation is actually worsening across Pacific Season 2. Warzone has been an undeniable success for Activision, hitting 100 million players and collating content from the last three CoD titles in an unprecedented manner. However, there have been downsides along the way. Recent seasons have been dominated by bugs and glitches, with the situation becoming so severe that Activision and Raven actually apologized for the game’s continuous list of problems. The biggest issue by some margin, though, has been cheating. Since day one, hackers have been far too prevalent for anyone’s liking, with any player of any caliber almost certain to have died to an opponent bending the rules at least once. Despite the introduction of RICOCHET anti-cheat, that appears to still be the case. In what will be unwelcome news to 99.9% of players, reports suggest the number of cheaters is rising again. Redditor ‘Extension_Variety908‘ sparked discussion by asking whether other players have experienced an increase in cheaters again. They said: “Is it just me or is anyone else getting sus kills. Everytime I play Rebirth I always get killed by a guy snapping onto my head or not looking at me and then turning around and quick-scoping me in the head.” Plenty of other players echoed the comments, with many saying that wallhacks, in particular, seem more common in Warzone. One said: “I honestly think there are many people using walls… the killcam CLEARLY shows them staring at and following us through walls. It’s obvious they’re cheating. I honestly haven’t seen any aimbotters for a long time now though.” Another player slammed Activision for these issues, saying: “There’s supposedly an anti-cheat but today alone I’ve played 6 matches with cheaters using Both Aimbot and Walls. Ricochet is a lie.” Here’s hoping the game’s publishers can get a grip on the situation moving forwards, and reports of cheating fall once again.

Warzone players sick of Storage Town campers ruining classic POI remake – Dexerto
Warzone players sick of Storage Town campers ruining classic POI remake ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have bemoaned the return of Storage Town as campers have ruined the experience and are making it challenging to get the new Death Prospector camo. While plenty of hype around Warzone’s Season 4 update has been about the new map, Fortune’s Keep, Raven Software has also made sweeping changes to Caldera. The Call of Duty: Warzone developers have removed vast amounts of water, cut vegetation down 50% so it’s a little easier to see, and also brought over the Storage Town POI from Verdansk. Naturally, with such a popular drop spot being revived, plenty of players were pretty excited to go and check it out – and grab the new Death Prospector camo that is tied to the area. However, the overall experience has become a little bit of a nightmare thanks to campers. The challenge for the new weapon camo tasks players with having to grab 100 kills while in the Storage Town area, but it’s proving difficult to get close to it, given that campers are sitting on rocks and scooping up easy kills. “Dying and trying to respawn back to Storage Town is really bad. It’s literally one single spot no matter where you die,” bemoaned Redditor BIGG_FRIGG. “Literal torture trying to get the 100 kills in Storage Town because you can never get there,” added flippakitten. Another player, UtmostRegret, sarcastically said the devs had achieved “quite the feat” with the Storage Town changes. “They’ve managed to take one of the most fun and fast-paced POIs of a great map in Verdansk, and turn it into the most tedious and frustrating POI on a poor map in Caldera.” A few ideas have been bandied around for how the devs could fix things, including randomizing the respawn pattern so that the rocks aren’t in such a powerful position. Though, some have said they will simply not go anywhere near Storage Town once they’ve unlocked the camo. It remains to be seen if the devs will, indeed, take the feedback on board make the changes players want, or if they’ll just continue to struggle with the camo challenge.

Warzone players sick of listening to “nimrod” character in opening scene – Dexerto
Warzone players sick of listening to “nimrod” character in opening scene WarzoneWarzone players are getting tired of watching the same cutscene before every match featuring a “nimrod” character. Every match of Warzone begins with a bit of a build-up to your character dropping onto the map to begin playing. This brief scene changed for this newest iteration of the game and it features the character of Graves from the single-player campaign. However, many fans are over this scene, believing it to be too long and also having way too much Graves in it for their liking. Warzone players are done with “nimrod” character before matches A post was made on the Warzone subreddit asking a very simple question: “Why are we still listening to this nimrod?” The post features an image of Graves, with the caption: “Whoever came up with this idea needs to go work at walmart. I can’t believe we still have to listen to him.” The response to the post has been both humorous and critical of the scene, with one user saying, “Longest 3 minutes in history.” Another player laments the way it has changed the reputation of Graves as a character: “They managed to take one of the most popular new characters from the MW reboot and make him the most despised character.” It’s not just doom and gloom, though, as some users are just having fun with it by typing out the voice lines he has every time, such as: “Gear up. You’re going to the warzone. Weapons free on all threats.” One player does bring up a point about why the devs keep the scene in, saying it remains so they can showoff skins to the player, which theoretically drives up sales for microtransactions. The issue is that other fans have pointed out that this won’t necessarily work: “1/3 of the time my teammates are showcasing a different skin in the cutscene than in the actual match. Usually default skins. So if that was their motive somebody clearly bungled it.” As of now, the cutscene is here to stay unless players can make their criticisms can change the development team’s mind.

Warzone players sick of being ‘punished’ for using MW2 weapons in Urzikstan – Dexerto
Warzone players sick of being ‘punished’ for using MW2 weapons in Urzikstan ActivisionWarzone players are increasing calls to have weapons from Modern Warfare 2 removed from the battle royale as ground loot with many of them calling the guns “awful” in their current state. When Warzone first launched as a part of Modern Warfare (2019), the battle royale only used weapons and pieces of equipment from that title. Over time, however, that has changed. As the battle royale has spanned across multiple Call of Duty releases, it’s become an amalgamation of different titles. Weapons, equipment, and even perks from at least two different games end up mixing and that, naturally, causes a fair bit of frustration for players. That has been the case in Modern Warfare 3’s update as well, with popular weapons from Modern Warfare 2 being called “unusable” as they haven’t been adjusted for the new health values and gameplay changes in the newer game. Warzone fans annoyed “awful” MW2 weapons are still in ground loot Some of the MW2 weapons were buffed in the recent Season 1 Reloaded update, however, fans still aren’t satisfied. While some fans would like to see them removed altogether, others just want them taken out of the ground loot pool. “It’s been clear since the launch of MW3 that the MW2 weapons don’t match up great against the MW3 weapon lineup. In fact, it’s been blatantly apparent that for the most part, you are at a decent disadvantage if you use them,” complained one fan who has led the calls for their removal. “Every chest is damn near a sniper or a shotgun. It’s awful,” added one fan. “Agreed. Seems like “carry forward” wasn’t really that at all, unless we are talking about cosmetics,” another said. “Very good point. Having to use MW2 guns for ground loot is punishment,” agreed another. Some fans suggested buffing them to be on a level playing field with the MW3 guns, while others would like to see the MW2 weapons just confined to their own limited-time mode. “Buff them to make them as good as Modern Warfare III guns and then increase the base health to 250 for Solos modes,” suggested one. Seeing as the devs have given the MW2 guns some changes, they won’t be ignoring them going forward. Though, it’s unlikely they’ll ever be on a par with the MW3 weapons.

Warzone devs promise MTZ Interceptor changes as players demand nerf – Dexerto
Warzone devs promise MTZ Interceptor changes as players demand nerf ActivisionWarzone developers at Raven Software have been showered with praise by the community upon locking in the BR’s next highly-requested balance pass, one specifically targeting the MTZ Interceptor. For a full month now CoD players have been dropping into Urzikstan by the thousand as the Warzone community acclimates not only to the new map, but to all the gameplay overhauls brought with MW3’s Season 1 integration. While the major update helped reinvigorate the popular Battle Royale, it hasn’t all gone according to plan. With some significant bugs and controversial design choices, there’s been plenty of criticism. One area of conversation in particular, however, has revolved around the game’s balance. With dozens of weapons and countless more attachments to keep in alignment, balancing Warzone is no small feat. But a few outliers have been all but dominating of late, and now, devs are looking to clamp down on one of the most divisive. After weeks of clamoring for an MTZ Interceptor nerf, Raven Software addressed the situation on January 3. “We’ve seen your questions about weapon balance,” the official dev Twitter account said. “We’re happy to confirm that an update is coming mid next week. And yes, that includes changes to the MTZ Interceptor!” Exactly what these changes may look like, is anyone’s guess for the time being. It’s worth noting the phrasing here as ‘nerfs’ wasn’t part of the language. Perhaps a broader overhaul is in store for the devastating Marksman Rifle. Naturally, the CoD community was largely elated by the news. Not just for the changes themselves, but for the early heads-up from the dev team, not something players have been accustomed to throughout Warzone’s history. “Oh my God, I love you so much for this communication,” one player said in the replies. “Nice. Crazy what communication can do for a company,” another said. Exactly what else is set to change in the next balance patch remains under wraps for now, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Raven has in store for the next phase of Warzone. Also on the horizon is Season 1 Reloaded, slated for Wednesday, January 17. So with balancing tweaks and new content all just around the corner, Warzone fans should be kept plenty busy in the weeks to come.

Warzone players show perfect way to deal with a hacking teammate – Dexerto
Warzone players show perfect way to deal with a hacking teammate Raven Software/ActivisionAfter discovering they had a hacking teammate, two Warzone players decided to seek revenge and get the cheater eliminated from the match. Warzone Season 3 has arrived and players are still exploring every inch of the overhauled Verdansk map. The major update brought a range of exciting features including the Swiss K31 Sniper rifle and the PPSH-41 SMG. Despite all of these new additions, a lot of the problems plaguing Warzone prior to the Season 3 update still remain prevalent in-game. One of which is the abundance of cheaters and hackers that can be found in-game. Although Raven Software has reportedly stepped up its fight against players using third-party programs, it appears the issue isn’t going away anytime soon. So, after a set of Warzone players realized they were playing with a hacker in their squad, they devised a plan to get the cheater eliminated from the match. Warzone players get ultimate revenge on hacking teammate A thread posted to the CODWarzone subreddit showing two players eliminating a hacking teammate from their game has garnered over 11,000 upvotes. During a game of Trios in Warzone, two premade teammates realized that the random they were playing with was hitting some suspicious shots. It didn’t take them long to figure out that the player was using hacks and locking onto targets from range. The pair then decided that the only responsible solution was to get the cheater eliminated. So, they managed to lure the hacker into an SUV and pretended to drive them around to help them pick up some more kills. Then, as soon as the opportunity presented itself, one of the players ditched the SUV and let it fly off into the water with the cheater inside. The players have received an overwhelming amount of praise from the community and have even been labeled as heroes for their disposal of the cheater. Although the Warzone player base is still waiting for a solution to the hacking problem, at least clips like this prove that there are a few methods players can use to fight back.

Warzone players shoot King Kong’s testicles for easy XP – Dexerto
Warzone players shoot King Kong’s testicles for easy XP ActivisionWarzone’s Operation Monarch event has been live since May 11, 2022, and players have been using the special mode to farm XP. One player has been grinding Kong’s jewels. Operation Monarch is the latest crossover to make its way to the battlefields of Call of Duty: Warzone. While the hotly-anticipated game mode has garnered mixed reactions from the game’s community, players have found joy in taking down the behemoths to acquire XP. One player has discovered an XP exploit during the event that requires an intense focus on King Kong’s testicular area. Warzone player shoots Kong’s testicles to farm XP Discovered by Redditor Mundoschristmas, the player posted a clip to the forum-based social app titled “You get XP for tickling Kong’s sack.” Yes, you read that correctly. Demonstrating the hilarious exploit, Mundoschristmas flies a helicopter towards the crouch of the tower-sized gorilla and begins shooting the jewels of the great ape throughout the four-second clip. The video was eventually marked as NSFW by one of the Warzone Reddit mods, the video picked up steam, and other players began chiming in on the crotchy exploit. One person commented: “There’s a reason this video is so short…When Kong does his ground stomp, that’s the end of it.” Another person offered their comments on the matter with humor, stating: “Kong’s eyes were rolled all the way back.” Along with the exciting exploit of flying a helicopter near Kong’s privates, players can also shoot at the titan from the ground level, just as the Operation Monarch event intended. Whether you’re opting to give the ape a militaristic mandscape with the helicopter or if you’re choosing the old-fashioned run and gun option, be sure to take the titans down and retrieve that extra XP before the event ends on May 25, 2022.

Warzone players shocked as hackers show off wild new cheats – Dexerto
Warzone players shocked as hackers show off wild new cheats ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s community has become accustomed to a litany of different cheats as crossplay introduces waves of PC hackers to the console world. But one hacker seems to have reached a new ‘final boss’ level with never-before-seen cheats. The majority of hackers in Warzone seem to use some combination of aimbot and ESP (Extra Sensory Perception). Thanks to cheaters brashly streaming themselves across platforms like Twitch and Facebook, people have gotten a decent grasp over what those hacks usually look like. But there’s a video of a new hacker that is making waves on social media, as top players and casuals alike express surprise at what appear to be a new set of hacks: night-vision goggles, permanent live pings on enemies and the ability to change their in-game name. Typically, it’s hard to pinpoint that someone is cheating while spectating in-game as you can’t see ESP, wall-hack outlines without seeing the player’s monitor. But these new hacks are obvious simply from spectating, as evidenced in a video posted to Twitter by one of the battle royale’s best players, Yungstaz. https://twitter.com/Yungstaz6/status/1382050823459471361 As Yungstaz shows, he and his teammates are simply baffled by a player that they’re spectating in-game. Noting that he has “never seen this from a hacker before,” the clip includes footage of this cheater bringing out night-vision goggles and automatically live-pinging (or, as they say, “auto marking”) every person around. While hackers have been seen using NVG in the past, it was only briefly and part of a notorious stim glitch. In this case, the goggles also don’t seem to be used for any real purpose other than flashiness — with Yungstaz simply reacting, “he is doing it in style!” Afterward, the streamer and teammates got a chance to speak to the hacker in the lobby postgame. Asking him how long he has had this account for, the cheater responded that he has had it for “five months.” As it turns out, these hacks were not purchased by the cheater and, when asked how much they would cost, it is revealed that they are “not for sale.” If there is any positive news for the Warzone community in this situation, it’s that there’s a possibility these hacks won’t be spread since they’re not for purchase.

Warzone players share their memories of the game’s best version – Dexerto
Warzone players share their memories of the game’s best version ActivisionWarzone players are sharing their memories and opinions of the fans’ favorite version of the game. The very first version of Warzone released back in March of 2020, quickly shooting to the top of the battle royale genre. Since then, the game has seen several different iterations, as the studios try to implement every year’s new Call of Duty release into the game in some form. Now, Warzone fans are reminiscing on its original version, while also expressing concerns for its current state. Warzone players want to get back to the original version The original Warzone has always had a popular place among the game’s player base, and with the recent release of what the community is calling “Warzone 3”, nostalgia is coming back strong. In a post on the game’s subreddit, a player posted one of their favorite clips from the first Warzone, called WZ1. While the clip is impressive enough with the player taking out several others in a short period of time, it has prompted a discussion about that version of the game and how this new one is faring. One user responded with: “God I miss verdansk”, referencing the original map that came at launch. Other fans took the time to assess what it was that makes the game much less appealing now, with one giving a good explanation of why they feel Warzone is too big now: “I’ve been saying for years WZs main problem is it’s too bloated. OG WZ was so great because it was just a rock solid BR game with excellent gameplay. Then they added tons of skins, all the goofy shit like juggernauts, they slapped a train in the map, they added more and more guns, WZ2 added a backpack system and butchered the UI, then there was PvPvE content, etc. It’s all just too much.” Some players in the comments mentioned that their perception of the game may be shaded by nostalgia and the fact that it came out at the perfect time when the world had to stay at home because of the global health crisis. No matter the reasoning, the original Warzone has a special place in many peoples’ hearts, and the fanbase is certainly looking forward to the return of Verdansk next year in Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2024.
