  • Warzone players frustrated by new wall breach glitch in Rebirth Island – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated by new wall breach glitch in Rebirth Island ActivisionWarzone players are becoming increasingly annoyed as cheaters have found a wall breach in the new Rebirth Island map, letting them hide within walls and kill unsuspecting enemies who can’t shoot back. Warzone has never been without its glitches, including multiple wall breach spots and out-of-bounds areas that players can access and get an unfair advantage over enemies. For the most part, though, these issues seem to have died down, with only a few isolated instances that normally get patched out fairly quickly. Now, players have taken their skills from Verdansk over to Rebirth Island — and have found some brand new spots to hide in and cheat their way to a victory. If you haven’t run into a player hiding in walls or outside of the map like this, you’ve been tremendously lucky. It’s a sure fire way to get your blood boiling, realizing that you’ve been decimated by an invisible opponent. As you can see in the clip below, there’s literally nothing you can do, as this player was decimated by gunshots flying through a wall on Rebirth Island. Tucked away in a corner in Chemical Engineering on the northeast side of the map, PatientZeero was killed through a wall by a seemingly invisible opponent, and it wasn’t until the killcam that you see an enemy duo sat inside, waiting for unsuspecting enemies to pass, not caring that they’re actively ruining everyone else’s game. It’s not exactly clear how they manage to phase into the wall, but from what we can see, it doesn’t look particularly difficult, as one of the players runs in and out as if the wall isn’t even there. This comes at a similar time as players discovering this bizarre loadout glitch, in which players can stand under their loadout as it drops and be pushed down into the Gulag — leaving them free to kill enemies trying to earn their spot back in the game. It’s not yet clear whether Activision are aware of this new wall breach, but we’re sure they’ll want to fix it sooner rather than later to save any more matches being ruined.

  • Warzone players frustrated as Vargo bugs continue despite supposed “fix” – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as Vargo bugs continue despite supposed “fix” ActivisionWarzone players are frustrated with the recently released Vargo 52 rifle that’s still bugged despite a recent patch that claimed to fix it. Despite 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s life cycle now technically being over with the release of Vanguard, the Treyarch developers are still committed to the game. In fact, they dropped an update that was a surprise to many in early March, bringing a breath of fresh air to the battle royale with a new map and a new gun: the Vargo 52. However, the new assault rifle was released with a frustrating reloading bug, and even after a supposed “fix”, it’s still causing issues. In a March 11 Reddit thread, Warzone player FiSk919 was still experiencing the reload error with the new Vargo 52, despite devs claiming they had patched it. “I saw the patch notes saying they fixed it the other day. I unlocked it last night and tried using it. I had no other mags for it yet but the stock mag is still bugged for me,” said FiSk919. “When I reload it doesn’t reload right away and I have to stand still for it to happen. “If I don’t stand still it won’t reload. I know this was big when it first dropped, but they did say it was fixed in the patch notes. So that’s why I waited to unlock it.” Others are apparently experiencing the same issue when reloading the Vargo, even with other magazines equipped. “The 60 rd mag is still bugged too. I don’t think they actually fixed it,” said one. Another added: “Reload is still bugged on all mags, not sure why they said they fixed it.” Furthermore, the reload glitch isn’t the only issue with the new rifle. Others are experiencing a bug with the Ferrofluid blueprint, where the weapon won’t load in-game after completing it. For now, players will have to wait it out till the next patch and hope the devs fix the issues the second time around.

  • Warzone players frustrated as The Boys skin is just “new Roze” – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as The Boys skin is just “new Roze” ActivisionWarzone players have expressed their frustration with the latest The Boys collaboration, as one of the skins in the bundle has been dubbed the “new Roze,” a call-back to the iconic Warzone skin that dominated Verdansk for so long. Back in the day, just about everybody used the Roze skin, an all-black outfit that allowed players to sneak up on opponents or hide in the darkness. It became seriously frustrating for players as enemies appeared as if from out of nowhere, out of the darkness and mowing them down with haste. There were multiple nerfs to the Roze skin, though they never really changed things all that much, until later in the Caldera lifecycle when it became less effective. With the launch of Warzone 2 (now just known as Warzone), old skins such as Roze were removed, seemingly getting rid of the problem — until now. Black Noir is “new Roze” On Monday, July 10, Warzone’s collaboration with Amazon Prime Video TV show The Boys was made official, bringing not only Black Noir but also Homelander and Starlight to the Call of Duty battle royale hit. However, as soon as the skins were revealed ahead of Season 4 Reloaded, many Warzone players and streamers were instantly worried about Black Noir. “Black Noir will be Roze 2.0 I fear,” said CDLPal on Twitter. Lyonz simply said that “this will be the new Roze skin.” Meanwhile, Call of Duty League organization Toronto Ultra posted saying that it’s “about to be Roze skin 8.0.” Evidently there are some serious concerns from the Call of Duty community that Black Noir could be an issue in the game, but only time will tell whether it becomes an actual problem that needs to be addressed.

  • Warzone players frustrated as Plunder, Clash & Payload modes removed – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as Plunder, Clash & Payload modes removed ActivisionWarzone players have been left seriously frustrated after the Plunder, Payload and Clash modes were removed, making grinding up levels and weapons significantly harder. The October 21 playlist update — which was actually delayed until October 22 — featured several changes to the available playlists and modes, including minor tweaks to the divisive Ghosts of Verdansk event. It also saw the return of Iron Trials duos, Resurgence trios, and a number of minor bug fixes, but perhaps most notably, it saw the removal of both the Payload and Clash modes, on top of the loss of Plunder the week before. Before long, players realized what had changed, and the criticism came out in full force. While the core BR and Resurgence remain by far the most popular modes in Warzone, Plunder, Payload and Clash offered something fresh and, more importantly, something that players could grind out XP in. Every Warzone player knows the struggle of leveling up, unlocking new attachments for the meta weapons and reaching your level milestones, and both of these modes made that far easier than in regular BR. Players such as Donkey_Thrasher have already called it “one of the worst playlist updates,” upset about there now being “no mode to grind or level up.” When are Plunder, Payload & Clash coming back to Warzone? Fortunately, players won’t have to wait too long for their favorite grind modes to come back. As there’s a playlist update each week, players should look to October 28 for the return of these modes according to Raven’s Season Six blog post. That said, it’ll only be Plunder making its return to the game on October 28, with no dates or announcements for the return of Clash and Payload.

  • Warzone players frustrated as double weapon XP is broken yet again – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as double weapon XP is broken yet again ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have been reporting that double Weapon XP is not actually active, even though it’s being advertised as such in-game, and they want Raven to fix it. Grinding your way through the multiplayer levels in Call of Duty has been an annual tradition for many fans, but it has changed a little bit in recent years. On top of your own personal level, you’ve got to level up weapons to get the best attachments, but there are just so many attachments these days, that the leveling can be a tiring slog. Double XP weekends and tokens usually help, however, players have been reporting that double weapon XP is currently not working as intended in Warzone and they’re wasting their tokens. Is Double XP working in Warzone? There have been countless complaints from players who are trying to level up their weapons in Season 4, especially over the July 4th holiday weekend. Read More: What sniper scopes have glint in Warzone? – “Every so often they have a double weapon XP weekend and it ends up being bull**it. It doesn’t work all weekend. They never fix it or acknowledge it. Really stupid and discouraging,” said Redditor TheLonelyLion_. “F**king scummy a*s s**t, we used to be able to stack double XP tokens on top of double XP weekend, giving a total of 4X, that doesn’t work anymore as of this update,” added another. Some players even suggested that the problem wasn’t limited to double Weapon XP, and was affecting normal leveling too. “I’m not crazy after all. And might I say, double level XP doesn’t work either,” added justagamerguy. Other players took to Twitter to tag the devs in their posts to see if they could get an answer that way. “Double XP Weapon is confirmed not working. Have checked twice. Please fix,” commented one player, while others tried to drag content creators like JGOD into the conversation to make more players aware of the issue. Double XP Weapon is confirmed not working. Have checked twice. Please fix. — Ben Eisenhart (@BEisenhart) July 3, 2021 @JGODYT since they listen to you..can u let @RavenSoftware know double weapon XP is not working in Plunder . — Masten Thrust (@eagles7251) July 3, 2021 @RavenSoftware Sad that double weapon XP isn’t working in plunder. 😔 — Phil Kirshbaum (@philkirsh) July 4, 2021 Some players have taken to Cold War’s multiplayer mode, given that the bonus appears to be working there, but they’d rather play Warzone. It remains to be seen if a fix will ever get rolled out for this issue.

  • Warzone players frustrated as broken launcher camos still haven’t been fixed – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as broken launcher camos still haven’t been fixed ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are baffled as a glitch that prevents them from putting camos on their rocket launchers is still in the game, two months after it started being a problem. Customization is a huge part of the CoD battle royale. Whether it’s creating the perfect loadout or adding cosmetics to weapons, there are many ways to personalize the game. However, a bug that has been around ever since the Pacific update back in December is still in the game. This has players losing their mind as they can’t edit any rocket launchers without crashing and are mindblown there isn’t a fix yet. Warzone launchers still crashing game Rocket Launchers may not be the most popular pick in Warzone but when used, they can be extremely helpful for taking out vehicles. And since the new season, players can’t get the full potential out of this weaponry. A Reddit post by ‘Djabouty47’ informed the community of a bug and warned people to not edit their rocket launchers in the gunsmith as it crashes the game. Many players let Djabouty know that this has been an issue for quite some time but there hasn’t been a patch for it. But this is preventing people from equipping their camos that they earned. One Redditor said, “It’s literally been that way since day 1 of Caldera. Crazy that they haven’t fixed it yet.” Other people chimed in claiming that they have been experiencing it as well since the launch of Pacific. Another user added, “Yeah that bug has been around for a bit. Maybe it’ll be patched in Season 2.” With Warzone devs postponing Season 2 to fix problems with the game, people imagine that this is on their list. But, there is no way to tell as this everyone thought it would’ve been fixed by now. We will update you when all the bug fixes and roadmap for Season 2 is revealed.

  • Warzone players frustrated as another popular mode is removed – Dexerto

Warzone players frustrated as another popular mode is removed ActivisionThe Warzone community is back to yelling at Raven Software as the team has made some questionable decisions with the playlist rotation, which removed the newly popular Clash mode. Warzone fans have been very vocal the past three months about their displeasure with the playlists in the battle royale. Raven even released a full blog post stating what goes into each decision and that they would work to be more transparent. It seems that has all backfired though, as the removal of Caldera Clash sent the community into a frenzy once again. Warzone players not happy with playlist rotation In a Reddit post by ‘rowdygringo’ the user brings up the new playlist and claims to be sad due to the removal of Caldera Clash. Other Redditors agreed with one person even saying it has served as a mode that has improved their gameplay. “Clash is a perfect solo adventure for me. Also a good chance to improve my gameplay. Would love to have it back.” Another person was asking when it was coming back, and at this time it’s unknown as the Trello board hasn’t been updated past March 17, which Clash doesn’t appear on. People also took their frustration to Twitter. In reply to Raven’s tweet about the new playlist people questioned their choice for one mode. User ‘Chuckles’ was extremely disappointed to see Vanguard Plunder in the rotation and claimed “nobody on this Earth” wants it. The tweet received loads of replies all agreeing with this saying “amen,” and “no cap.” While this isn’t Warzone’s first rodeo with upsetting fans over the playlist, it’s the first time in Season 2. So there could be some big changes coming in the near future to keep players happy.

  • Warzone players freak out over Season 5’s upcoming Akimbo fire shotguns – Dexerto

Warzone players freak out over Season 5’s upcoming Akimbo fire shotguns Activision / PexelsIf you thought Warzone’s “doof doof,” fire shotgun meta was wild — wait until you find out what’s in store for Season 5. The Marshal pistol is coming to Verdansk, which will let players run Ghost while dual-wielding… Akimbo Dragon’s Breath shotguns. The “doof doof” era was terrifying. If your team jumped into a building and heard the ominous double-pump, you knew fiery death was around the corner. But at least you could check UAV or a Heartbeat Sensor to see what was waiting for you. In Season 5, Warzone players will enjoy no such luxury. Those who decide to equip the Marshal pistol will be able to run Ghost while using dual fire shotguns as their secondary weapon. With details of the gun emerging, players are a mix of concerned and intrigued. A pistol that debuted in 2015’s Black Ops 3, the Marshal is capable of one-shot kills at close range. Given the importance of Ghost and mobility in Warzone, news of its arrival is causing serious speculation. How do we know the Marshal will have Dragon’s Breath rounds and the capacity to be dual-wielded? Because there’s already a new store bundle announced for the gun. In the past, this has been a familiar story — a new, OP gun gets a fancy blueprint that everyone buys to be on top of the meta — so there’s cause for concern. But this time there’s a mix of reactions. Some players are excited, noting that these attachments alter the gun “in a creative way.” Others are less enthused, remembering it as a “win button” in BO3 and speculating that it “will be deliberately overpowered” to encourage microtransactions. At this moment, no one knows what the gun’s statistics are like and how meta it might actually become in Warzone or BOCW. Another group of players isn’t even thinking about either of those two modes, as Zombies players are delightfully intrigued. A common sentiment is expressed by ‘Calwings’ on Reddit, who hopes the new Marshal is balanced but loves its potential: “This is going to be so dumb (in a fun way).”

  • Warzone players have finally found an LTM they love in Operation Flashback – Dexerto

Warzone players have finally found an LTM they love in Operation Flashback ActivisionOperation Flashback is now live in Warzone Season 6 and the latest limited-time mode (LTM) already appears to be a fan favorite with many calling this greatest hits event the “best” playlist yet. Warzone’s Caldera map is just days away from replacing Verdansk. But before we head to the Pacific, fans have been treated to one last LTM on the original map. Operation Flashback went live after a November 18 patch and, well, there’s a lot to soak up. From classic metas being rotated back into a complete overhaul of the Buy Stations, this LTM shakes everything up across Verdansk. Highlights from every previous season are back in focus to give players one last hit of nostalgia before the classic map disappears. Fortunately, this mash-up mode seems to have landed well as many are already calling it the best playlist yet. Dropping into Operation Flashback, players are treated to a wide range of familiar features from the past two years of Warzone. Whether you’re dropping onto classic Modern Warfare floor loot or accessing the Nakatomi Vault POI, there’s something for fans of every era in the battle royale’s short history. As a result, it’s been labeled “the best mode [Warzone has] ever had. Honestly, if they kept this mode on it would reinvigorate my interest in it,” one player chimed in on Reddit. Another added: “This mode is complete randomness and the most fun I’ve had in this game for a while.” Even one of Warzone’s biggest stars, FaZe Swagg, was quick to praise the new LTM. “It brings back a lot of nostalgia,” he said. “It’s really dope, this just brings back all those old feelings.” Read more: CoD Vanguard vs Battlefield 2042: who wins? – While he would have liked to see the devs go one step further by “bringing back the OG map,” he still recommended everyone go try the mode while it’s available. Operation Flashback is active in Warzone until November 30 when we reach the ‘last hours of Verdansk’. For now, little is known about the upcoming finale. Though Activision has teased that “bombs” could be dropping as “Warzone goes dark” until December 2. As soon as Season One goes live, we’ll have a brand new map, every weapon from Vanguard, and even a full-fledged anti-cheat system to boot.

  • Warzone players forced to change loadout perks to counter new Combat Scout – Dexerto

Warzone players forced to change loadout perks to counter new Combat Scout Treyarch/ActivisionFollowing the release of the new Warzone perks, players have been forced to drop E.O.D and run Cold-Blooded in order to counter Combat Scout. Ever since the release of Warzone, both Double Time and E.O.D have dominated the Perk 1 slot, with players running one of the two almost every single game. Well, that was until Season 5, when both Tempered and Combat Scout were added to the game. Although Tempered has settled into the meta as a balanced option for aggressive players, Combat Scout has taken over the Perk 3 slot and became a top-tier pick alongside Amped. In an attempt to counter Combat Scout, players have begun running Cold-Blooded in the Perk 1 slot, making E.O.D and Double Time less popular in Season 5. Warzone players forced to use Cold-Blooded to counter new perk Before the Season 5 update, the majority of Warzone players chose between E.O.D and Double Time in the Perk 1 slot. Now, in order to counter Combat Scout, Cold-Blooded has become the second most picked perk in slot 1 behind Double Time. According to WZRanked, E.O.D has a pick ratio of 20.4% and Double Time is sitting at 42.1%. However, due to Combat Scout having a 31.8% pick ratio in slot 3, Cold-Blooded has rocketed to 29.5%. This makes sense as Cold-Blooded completely negates the effects of the brand new perk, stopping Combat Scout users from receiving the X-ray highlight an enemy. A lot of players have already begun to complain about the power level of Combat Scout, so it’ll be interesting to see if Raven Software decides to make any changes. While it’s clear Warzone players are enjoying the new variety of perks on offer when heading into Verdansk, not everybody in the community is happy about having to run Cold-Blooded. On top of this, some players are concerned that Combat Scout completely nullifies the effectiveness of smoke grenades, limiting players who run that type of equipment for cover. For now, all the community can do is adjust to the meta and see if the devs decide to implement any nerfs to Combat Scout. Who knows, before long, Cold-Blooded could takeover Double Time in popularity if Combat Scout continues to be picked.

  • Warzone players flame devs for not releasing Zombie Royale at start of Haunting event – Dexerto

Warzone players flame devs for not releasing Zombie Royale at start of Haunting event ActivisionWarzone community members were shocked when The Haunting event started without including its headline act. Everyone’s favorite Haunting Event is finally back in Warzone. In this year’s iteration, community members can jump into haunted, re-imagined Vondel and Al Mazrah maps. Or squads can try their hand at completing the Soul Capture or Operation Nightmare events. Players even have the opportunity to earn an exclusive reward in Diablo IV by defeating Butcher as part of an ambitious crossover event. Other highlights of the update include a new field upgrade, loot, and a tactical equipment item. But what many will consider the star of the show is the return of Zombie Royale. The fan-favorite game mode respawns downed players as zombies, creating absolute chaos. Community members wanted to jump right into the mode when The Haunting Event started, but the devs controversially decided to space out its release. Warzone players shocked by “drip-feeding” content strategy This year’s Zombie Royale mode takes the best elements from previous games. Players who die respawn as a zombie with special abilities. It is up to the undead horde to eliminate every player and players that die as a zombie are eliminated from the match. However, an infestation meter fills up and returns all spectators to the match as zombies. And in true battle royale fashion, the last living player wins. On October 17, Raven Software unveiled Warzone’s The Haunting playlist calendar, and Zombie Royale doesn’t join the map rotation until October 20. The devs explained that players could try out Al Mazrah or Vondel’s Halloween-inspired maps in the meantime, but that compromise wasn’t good enough for some community members. Warzone Loadout responded: “So frustrating. Why would you advertise a fan favorite mode as the big update for weeks and then don’t have it at launch? Zombie Royale should have been live directly.” Warzone competitor and content creator TheTacticalBrit added: “Why would you not have zombies at launch?” Fellow content creator HunterTV drove the point home by arguing: “You guys can’t do anything right with these playlists.” Hopefully, the wait is worth it when Zombie Royale finally goes live later this week. But in the meantime, check out the rest of our Warzone coverage.

  • Warzone players flame devs as STG recoil animation ruins the gun – Dexerto

Warzone players flame devs as STG recoil animation ruins the gun ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone’s newest gun, the STG-44, has a crazy amount of recoil and players are wondering how it got past the playtesting phase. Warzone has added the newest gun from Call of Duty: Vanguard, the STG-44, to its Season 6 Battle Pass. The STG marks the first weapon to crossover from both of the CoD titles, but some players have noticed a massive problem with the Warzone version of the weapon. STG-44 Warzone recoil problem Warzone players who have tested the STG-44 have noticed that the gun has an ungodly amount of recoil, making it very difficult to use. Reddit user TrueLordOfPotatoes noticed the recoil issue and said, “I don’t know about you guys but I think the stg-44 slamming into your shoulder like this would hurt quite a bit.” Their clip shows the absolutely ridiculous amount of blowback the weapon gives players, making aiming with it a nearly impossible task. One user commented on the STG issue and wrote, “Someone actually worked on this and thought that visual recoil was ready for the game lol.” Another wondered how much Activision is meddling in the development process. “They probably know it isn’t ready, but deadlines are a thing and Activision don’t care as long as they can get their advertising for the new cod by putting these guns in early,” they commented. The STG was introduced into Vanguard first, and with the game a few weeks from launch, decided to import the weapon into Warzone for a cross promotion. Read More: How to unlock the Vanguard STG 44 in Warzone – The visual recoil is quite awkward and much more visually impairing than many other weapons in the game. Hopefully, there will be a fix soon so players can enjoy the gun without the cartoonish recoil.

  • Warzone players are finding secret poison bombs hidden around Verdansk – Dexerto

Warzone players are finding secret poison bombs hidden around Verdansk Infinity WardWarzone’s major Season 5 update came in with a splash, though a few secret additions have been going mostly unnoticed in the mega-popular battle royale. Infinity Ward literally blew the roof off with Warzone’s Season 5 update. While huge map changes and new content took up the spotlight, a few secrets were snuck into the August 5 patch. Weapons in the gulag were adjusted without being mentioned in the patch notes at first. Buy Station prices were changed, among other surprises as well. However, one of the biggest additions is still yet to properly be revealed by the developers. In the latest season, explosive canisters can be found all across Verdansk. Though barely a handful of players have even stopped to notice the secret items. Throwable Gas Canisters have been discovered in the battle royale experience. Operators can pick them up, throw them a great distance, then shoot them to set off an enormous explosion. They’ve seemingly been hidden around the map since the beginning of Season 5 Players can pick them up, drop them, and ‘start a fuse’ according to button prompts that appear when interacting with the items. At the time of writing, there’s no indication as to just how rare they are. They can show up at a wide variety of locations around the map and they can make an impact across any of the game’s playlists. There’s also another variant of the throwable item, the Poison Canister. Instead of dealing explosive damage, this secret weapon creates a cloud of toxic gas in a large area. Anyone caught inside will presumably take damage over time. There’s no telling why Infinity Ward decided to keep these a secret. They’re not the craziest additions we’ve seen in Warzone and they’re certainly not the most powerful either. Perhaps they might play a role in an upcoming easter egg as we get set for the transition to Black Ops Cold War. Only time will tell. This isn’t the first time a secret has gone unnoticed, however; we also saw upgraded Gas Masks added into Warzone without a peep from the devs.

  • Warzone players find absurdly easy way to level guns in new Caldera Clash mode – Dexerto

Warzone players find absurdly easy way to level guns in new Caldera Clash mode ActivisionIt’s a regular tradition in Call of Duty: Warzone: an update drops, the meta changes, and guns need to get leveled. Fortunately, some fans have discovered a stupidly easy way to level weapons with maximum speed and minimal effort. The Warzone Pacific Season 2 update adjusted a grand total of 16 guns and 113 attachments in the battle royale. Unlike Season 1 Reloaded’s changes, this new batch of weapon buffs and nerfs is sure to impact the meta. So, as usual, when one door closes, another opens – and Season 2 is likely to enjoy some new weaponry taking the place of the nerfed Bren and MP40. While we don’t have a concrete sense of those newcomers just yet, there’s no better time than now to start preparing. There are a number of ways to level guns up quickly for Warzone, most recently including a Rebirth Island method for those who don’t want to hit multiplayer or Plunder. Season 2 has brought something new to the table, too, as fans found an effective method using the new Caldera Clash mode. How to level Warzone guns fast in Caldera Clash Posted to Reddit by ‘X3FBrian,’ it seems that the new Caldera Clash mode is a goldmine for weapon levels. As Brian explained, he was able to level one gun from 1 to 23 in just one game… without shooting a bullet. Here’s how to level your guns quickly and easily in Caldera Clash: Pop a Double Weapon XP – Drop into Caldera Clash – Grab Bounty contracts – Enjoy the free XP – This method is so effective because, in a large-scale teamfight like Clash, you don’t even have to fight people for your Bounties to be completed. You can simply pick them up, let other people kill the targets for you, and reap the benefits. Additionally, someone commented with some other tips you can use to maximize your XP. They explained that using Buy Stations, looting crates, and using the Pointman perk (instead of Overkill) will all help you sneak in extra experience while running contracts.

  • Warzone players finally get long-awaited update for most expensive bundle – Dexerto

Warzone players finally get long-awaited update for most expensive bundle ActivisionModern Warfare 3 and Warzone’s most expensive bundle, the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, finally received a much-needed update that launches players across the map. In April, as part of the Godzilla x Kong collaboration, Activision released a glove cosmetic item that required players to purchase four $20 bundles for a whopping $80 total. MW3 players were livid over the “ridiculous” glove because it had no unique animations. Additionally, players argued that advertising around the glove made it seem like it would be a reward for gameplay rather than a completion reward for purchasing the other bundles. The community was also concerned that this cosmetic opened the door for other expensive bundles in the future. After almost four months, Activision has addressed these complaints by adding a new animation to the B.E.A.S.T Glove. Following the update, if a player lands a punch with the B.E.A.S.T Glove, it will send the enemy flying across the map. However, instead of celebrating the change, players complained that this feature wasn’t added sooner. “Why did they change it months later?? I would’ve bought it day one if it did this,” one user responded. In saying that, some players did express gratitude as they had lost hope the glove would ever get revisited. “Thank you Sledgehammer Games for making this glove better! Now I can have more fun with this,” a second user added. Still, $80 is still a steep price tag for any cosmetic in a $70 game, and other players made sure to remind the devs that this shouldn’t become standard practice moving forward. “I mean that’s good it got an fun, additional effect now, but it’s still insane you need to spend $80 to unlock this,” one commenter argued. The B.E.A.S.T. glove isn’t the only controversial item in Call of Duty. A new cat gun has frustrated players, with many accusing the developers of prioritizing cosmetics over banning cheaters.

  • Warzone players figure out perfect way to hold Dirt Bike races – Dexerto

Warzone players figure out perfect way to hold Dirt Bike races Activision-BlizzardSometimes, it is better to just let loose and have a bit of fun during a match of Warzone, so a few players took to the streets to have a classic motocross race! Warzone is an always-evolving game, there are constant meta changes and usually, Activision add some new weapons for players to try out when they release a new season. Along with the flurry of weapons in the game, they’ve recently added bikes with the release of Warzone Season 4. These bikes are rather tricky to handle when driving, so a lot of players are not so keen on taking one over the regular SUV or Big Bertha. But this doesn’t mean they can’t be used for other purposes, as some Warzone players have devised the perfect way to have a dirt bike race. Warzone players have a Dirt Bike race Having fun while gaming with your buddies is something we often overlook, especially when playing high-octane games such as Warzone, as competitiveness usually takes the front seat nowadays. Read More: What sniper scopes have glint in Warzone? – However, some fans shared a post on Reddit that’s definitely on the lighter side of gaming, as they were able to organize a fun race within Verdansk. But all good things must come to an end, as someone spoiled their race towards the end of the video. Using the already-placed track on the left side of the Verdansk map, somewhere near Boneyard and Promenade, these players took a few laps around the course before heading to drag race down one of the long stretches of roads on the map. However, their race was unfortunately interrupted due to some opposing players on the map seeing them drive by and deciding to take down a few of them. But this clip is still amazing to see, as it proves that anything really is possible in Warzone, and we are sure other players are going to try and recreate it.

  • Warzone players figure out bandaid fix for kills & wins stats not tracking – Dexerto

Warzone players figure out bandaid fix for kills & wins stats not tracking ActivisionWarzone players are frustrated as, once again, stats from games are not being tracked properly in-game. This last happened and got fixed in April, but it’s back and, this time, players have taken matters into their own hands — finding a temporary fix for the issue. To some players in Warzone, the only thing that matters is having that nice looking K/D or stacks of wins on their profile . After completing a game of Warzone, players load back into the lobby and get a post-match screen that shows how many kills you got, your final placement, and XP earned. This should all update your career stats, which can be accessed in the “Barracks” tab. People have been noticing that things aren’t quite adding up the way they should be, though. Between XP not being given out and now stats not being tracked, the Warzone community is looking for answers. Warzone stats (kills & wins) not counting properly Just three months after Raven Software fixed an issue of kills and wins not counting in player’s career stats, Warzone players once again are faced with the same issue. The community rallied on Reddit, Twitter, and Facebook when responding to posts noting that the right amount of XP wasn’t being given as earned. Players have realized that after games, the amount of kills they got and wins they earned aren’t showing up no matter how many times they’ve updated their in-game page. Some players have considered not playing if there is nothing to show for everything that they have accomplished while playing Warzone. Fortunately, others have figured out a way to see their real numbers. Warzone players figure out fix for broken stats Players have discovered that there is a loophole to the stats not showing up. If you check out Warzone stat tracking websites such as WZ Stats and WZ Ranked, players can see true career stats. These websites are keeping track of every game you are playing despite them not showing up in-game. Whether dropping into Verdansk for some BR or Payload, and even tracking Rebirth Resurgence, these tracking websites have you covered. (Just make your account public first to access them.) Read More: CDL 2021 Seattle Home Series – These sites use Warzone’s API to grab data for public accounts, so this suggests the game is still accurately tracking stats. With that being the case, players are therefore hopeful that Raven Software can patch the Barracks up so that these stats are updated from the API without skipping a beat. At the time of writing, there has been no comment from the dev team saying they are aware of this issue or working on a fix for it. But, on the plus side, the sites can help you out in the meantime.

  • Warzone players feel broken STG is the new AK-47 “with better recoil” – Dexerto

Warzone players feel broken STG is the new AK-47 “with better recoil” ActivisionThere have been a few great floor loot guns in Warzone’s history, but some players believe the current STG might be the best of them all, going so far as to say it’s even better than the Cold War AK-47. Warzone Season 3 has shaken the game up in a big way but one small change has had big unintended consequences. The new set of ground loot weapons has produced a clear standout in the form of the STG-44 and it’s so good that players are basing their whole strategy around it. Warzone players dub ground loot STG “the new Ak-47” It’s not often a gun that you can pick up from the floor completely changes the game, but in the case of the STG, that’s exactly what’s happening. The purple pickup has generated a ton of buzz over its low-recoil and fast TTK, and it’s easy to see why. Just like in the clip embedded below, each day the community finds a new way to put it to use in crunch-time situations. One player noted that they’ve changed their entire loadout because of how easy it is to find these around the map: “I just got rid of my overkill classes knowing these are lying around everywhere.” Another commenter added that this kind of strategy shift was unavoidable as soon as the gun was added to the loot pool “You take what was the meta long-range AR and reduce its recoil by quite a bit. That’s pretty close to broken…” While the freedom to run no-Overkill loadouts might be nice for a few people, when a gun gets this good it’s usually grounds for a nerf, so it might not stick around in this form for too long.

  • Warzone players fed up with bugged games after Season 1 Reloaded patch – Dexerto

Warzone players fed up with bugged games after Season 1 Reloaded patch ActivisionSeason 1 Reloaded brings many changes to Warzone, but before players can enjoy it, it seems they have to swim through a myriad of bugs. MW3 and Warzone are at the midway point of their first season, meaning it’s time for Season 1 Reloaded. This update introduces a new suite of content for players to jump into, with new weapons, the return of the Champion’s Quest and Weapon Cases. Of course, aside from the new Warzone content, Season 1 Reloaded brought a new patch with balancing passes to weapons and equipment and bug fixes. However, despite all the fixes and changes it brought, it seems like it’s seemingly destroyed Warzone in the process. Warzone Season 1 Reloaded patch causing issues galore The patch went live at 9 AM PT | 12 PM EST, and as soon as it launched, players flooded the servers, ready to partake in the new content. No one anticipated the avalanche of bugs that would unfold. CDL commentator Joe “Merk” DeLuca shared his Warzone experience post the patch, with the patch seemingly breaking Precision Airstrike notifications. Meanwhile, Atlanta FaZe head coach James “Crowder” Crowder commented this was his second time experiencing this bug. On the other hand, Quadrant streamer Ethan “Fifakill” Pink showed going into “Create-A-Class” while playing Warzone, seemingly breaking the game. What unfolds is absolute madness as the game struggles to keep up with the action. These aren’t the only issues in-game; many report they can’t get past the main menu to play Warzone. Raven Software has shared updates that the studio is actively working on fixes for Precision Airstrikes and the loadout bugs shown, along with other notable issues.

  • Warzone players fear that CoD is coming to an end on Xbox One & PS4 – Dexerto

Warzone players fear that CoD is coming to an end on Xbox One & PS4 ActivisionModern Warfare 3 event in Warzone 2 has been causing the game to glitch for players on older consoles, and they fear this could be a sign of the end of Call of Duty on Xbox One and PS4. Warzone 2 Season 5 launched on August, 16 alongside a new Modern Warfare 3 in-game event for players to participate in. This event involves challenges that allow players to earn rewards like the new assault rifle M13C and the new Gas Canister weapon charm. Players have been grinding through these challenges to earn the rewards, but some have complained that the new Warzone 2 event is harder for some than others. Specifically, some players on older consoles have been experiencing glitches and stuttering in the new event. Warzone 2 PS4 & Xbox One players complain about MW3 event The new Modern Warfare 3 event features exciting and chaotic gameplay, but some players on older consoles are finding that this is at times too much for their systems to handle. One Redditor posted his struggles as the map glitched and the landscape failed to render. Other players had little sympathy for those playing on older-generation hardware like the PS4 and Xbox One, “That’s 9-years-old hardware. It’s ancient by tech standards” and “You gotta move on bruh.” Modern Warfare is releasing on November, 10 and will be available on the “9-years-old hardware” consoles. For some, this was a hot topic for debate, and they were upset about what they thought was Activision catering too much towards the PS4 and Xbox One. “These last-gen consoles hold current gen back so hard it’s getting ridiculous,” said one. This has caused a scare for some Warzone 2 players as they fear Call of Duty might move away from the last-gen consoles in the near future. Modern Warfare 3 has been gaining traction recently with new updates like the return of all 16 multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare (2009).

  • Warzone players fear new Season 6 weapons have been canceled – Dexerto

Warzone players fear new Season 6 weapons have been canceled ActivisionInitially, leaks pointed to a new LMG and AR coming to Warzone in Season 6, but players dread a potential change in the script. Over the course of six seasons, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone have introduced 21 new weapons and four new melee options. This includes seven new ARs, four new SMGs, and three new sniper rifles, among others. However, there has yet to be a new LMG introduced. It’s especially odd, considering LMGs have been strong but not at the same level as ARs and SMGs. Many likely remember the RPK dominated Warzone’s meta across Season and parts of Season 2. But since then, we have yet to really see an LMG make that same kind of impact. It’s worth mentioning that the Sakin MG38 and Rapp-H didn’t provide interesting alternatives, but slow mobility and reload speeds inevitably make them less desirable than ARs and Battle Rifles. It finally appeared that Season 6 would end the long drought, but players may have gotten their hopes up too early. New LMG and AR allegedly canceled in Warzone Season 6 Warzone expert WhosImmortal credited COD leaker DETONATED for data mining the Bruen MK9 LMG and FR 5.56 AR coming to MW2 and Warzone during Season 6. Despite that, WhosImmortal pointed out that the Weapon Mastery Camo Charms changed. On the ISO 9MM and Dual Kamas, the charm indicates being one of five new Season 6 weapons. But the TR-76 Geist is labeled as one out of three weapons, indicating that there are no longer plans to add five total weapons. WhosImmortal added that none of the current season’s patch notes up to this point have made any mention of the Bruen or FR 5.56. Reading between the lines, WhosImmortal admitted: “Modern Warfare 3 Campaign early access drops on November 2 and the full game releases on November 10. Personally, I would be very surprised if we got an update post-campaign early access.” But for players that want any silver lining, two Haunting camos ironically have the word Bruen on them. Both camos also indicate an event happening on October 31 called Captain Price’s Revenge. We will learn the truth when Halloween night rolls around. But for LMG fans, hopefully, they will receive more attention in Modern Warfare 3 than what they saw in MW2.

  • Warzone players fear for Modern Warfare 3 as audio has “never been worse” – Dexerto

Warzone players fear for Modern Warfare 3 as audio has “never been worse” ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone fans have hit out at the devs over the audio in Season 5 Reloaded, claiming it has “never been worse” than it is following the new update. Over the last few years, fans of Warzone and Warzone 2 have had a number of gripes with the Call of Duty battle royale titles. Players have constantly complained about cheaters, weapons being too overpowered, updates not coming fast enough, and well, the audio. The audio in the battle royale has been a constant annoyance to players, especially as many see it as being inconsistent. Some have offered up workarounds, taking it into their own hands, but there has never been a concrete fix. Over the last few seasons, the devs have tried to right the issue and get things ironed out, but it seems players are at a breaking point in Season 5 Reloaded, claiming the problem is the worst it has ever been. Warzone 2 players furious about audio in Season 5 Reloaded That’s right, many Warzone players have taken to social media to complain about the state of audio in the new season, with many fearing for what could be coming in Modern Warfare 3 as well. “This is now a core gameplay issue. Entire squads can roll up on you in dead silence. People can land on your head with no sound,” vented Redditor Empty_Height_8831. “Every time they say they improve sound, it’s worse,” agreed one player. “That’s why they’re putting in silent footsteps as a perk in MW3. Since audio doesn’t work anyways it won’t take any work on their end,” another commented. “There’s an odd system where they tried to make walls and what not behave how they would in real life… So you can hear someone 100m away down a clear street, but around a corner, or in the next room, it would be quieter. But basically, they simply aren’t good enough as a dev team for whatever reason to implement this,” said another. Other players have called it “horrendous” and are urging the devs to roll out a fix before everyone moves onto Modern Warfare 3 come October. It remains to be seen if that’ll happen, but with so much focus on the new game, it could continue to linger for a while yet.

  • Warzone players expose devs for “lazy” cosmetic bundles with identical rewards – Dexerto

Warzone players expose devs for “lazy” cosmetic bundles with identical rewards ActivisionWarzone players have lashed out at the developers after spotting a near-identical cosmetic item in two different premium bundles, labeling the copied content as “lazy” work. With each big update in Call of Duty these days comes a heaping serve of new cosmetic content. From Operator skins and weapon Blueprints to unique items in new Battle Passes, there’s always something for players to drop their time and money into. Many of the most popular cosmetics come directly from premium bundles, however. These items can rarely be unlocked by conventional means, instead, remaining locked behind a paywall. Dozens of new goodies are added to the store this way every month but it turns out, not everything on offer is unique. Players have lashed out at Warzone’s developers following the Season 6 update, even calling them “lazy” after noticing an exact copy of an earlier item up for sale again. “This is just lazy,” one player called out on Reddit with pictures of two shockingly similar watches in Warzone. The first is ‘McClane’s watch,’ a cosmetic reward that became available in Season 3. Just above it is a picture of the ‘Silver Diver watch,’ an item that was just introduced in Season 6. You’d be forgiven if you thought it was just the same image shared twice. The cosmetics are almost an exact copy of each other. The straps, the watch face, its features, everything appears to be mirrored. Perhaps the only discernible difference is the flavor text that comes along with each item. Naturally, plenty were upset upon realizing the same content has been recycled. “You call it lazy, I call it maximum profit with minimum effort,” one player joked. “Shouldn’t we expect more out of a large company making profit off their sales of cosmetic items?” another chimed in. Strangely enough, the watches have slightly different looks when taken into Cold War multiplayer instead. There’s no telling if this is just a visual bug or an intended feature at this point in time. Activision is yet to respond to the controversy either way. We’ll keep you posted here if the watches are given a visual refresh in the near future.

  • Warzone players exploiting broken map spot at Arsenal on Caldera – Dexerto

Warzone players exploiting broken map spot at Arsenal on Caldera ActivisionCaldera isn’t very airtight right now as the map currently has an exploit allowing players to get under the map and notch plenty of unfair kills to boost their chances of scoring a dub. It would be fair to say that Warzone Pacific’s flashier version of battle royale has had its fair share of problems and complaints. From campy “rat spots” to a lack of visibility, Caldera is not perfect by any means. However, its latest problem has appeared out of nowhere and is causing havoc during games of battle royale. A popular POI on the map seems to have a technical defect that allows players to exit the map, but still be able to kill players within it. Warzone map exploit is bad for business Caldera’s Arsenal POI is a popular spot, as despite being situated on the edge of the North-West section of the map, it’s a hotspot for loot. Arsenal’s juiciest place to go to though has to be its giant, multi-floored building that is a literal haven for those in need of cash, weapons, and other supplies. However, at present, the location has more than meets the eye as reported by two different Warzone Reddit users. In a post titled: “New glitch location in Arsenal? Got killed by this loser,” we saw a player illegally running around deep within the heart of the building’s structure, able to see all of the map through the building. Even though it’s not evident in the video, the title of the post, and the fact we are spectating them, would insinuate that the player using the exploit killed our player using nefarious means. In addition to that post, there was also another one on Reddit, only a screenshot this time, showing someone else quite clearly exploiting this new Caldera map glitch. First and foremost, if you’re intending to hop into Caldera for a few games, then be sure to either steer clear of the Arsenal POI, or proceed with utmost caution. Read More: When is Warzone Pacific Season 3? – As has been the case in the past for Warzone map exploits, we don’t expect this one to stick around for too long.

  • Warzone player’s epic rant perfectly sums up why so many hate Gas Masks – Dexerto

Warzone player’s epic rant perfectly sums up why so many hate Gas Masks Infinity WardA Call of Duty: Warzone fan has decided to wear his heart on his sleeve and express just how frustrating the game’s Gas Mask animation is, with a full video documenting the pain it has caused him. [jwplayer br5AuoVJ] As good as Warzone’s been since its release back in March, there’s been plenty for players to complain about, whether it be the seemingly unstoppable infestation of hackers to the awful “demon” gun glitch that inexplicably took over for several weeks. One such topic is the Gas Mask, the item’s animation to be more specific; fans have never shied away from letting Infinity Ward and Activision know how much they despise the visual process of equipping and taking off a Gas Mask, which oftentimes can impact the result of a gunfight. But out of all the complaints about it, Reddit’s ‘jakericca‘ probably has the best one so far – going on a powerful and epic rant about how poor the whole concept of the mechanic is. The player has made a name for himself on the website’s Warzone subreddit by sharing a multitude of videos exploring the nuances of Verdansk. In his latest clip, he describes how the dreaded Gas Mask animation has plagued his, and others’, psyche for six seasons: “We’ve all been through it. We’ve all been hurt. You hear me, Activision? It hurts all of us. This needs to stop.” After relenting and allowing himself to be vulnerable, jakericca dives into the issue with the gameplay to prove it. As he’s down to the final circle, wiped one squad, and killed another surprise enemy, he’s suddenly faced with an unsuspecting foe. But, instead of being able to gun down this player from behind, the mask’s animation kicks in as the gas approaches, giving the enemy enough time to turn around and erase him from the game. “F**king Gas Masks … F**king bulls**t,” – it’s a painful story but one that the CoD community isn’t unfamiliar with. And jakericca brings up two good points in response to the automated animation. For one, numerous Operators are wearing large masks, so why can’t the Gas Mask be worn indefinitely throughout the game as well? And, echoing a more popular solution, couldn’t Infinity Ward simply implement a toggle option for the mask? If that was the case, then players could decide when or not they’d like to put it on, or even if they’d like to keep it automated. This would work akin to the Tac Sprint options and would allow players to feel more in control of their own destinies. Alas, there’s no indication when, or even if, the developers would be interested in reworking the whole Gas Mask mechanic. Until then, looks like jakericca and everyone else have to do the best they can to manage.

  • Warzone players elated as MW3 leaks confirm return of Kar98 and classic MW2 shotgun – Dexerto

Warzone players elated as MW3 leaks confirm return of Kar98 and classic MW2 shotgun Infinity WardA recent batch of files added to MW3 suggests the return of the Kar98 and SPAS-12, causing excitement among the community. The MW3 fanbase is elated that recent files added to the game suggest the Kar98 and SPAS-12 could be incoming. Both weapons have a special place in the hearts of the series’ most loyal players, as they’ve been around for a long time and have always been some of the best weapons, especially the Kar98 in Warzone. But, beyond just how much people love using them, the inclusion of the Kar98 and SPAS-12 could also be the beginning of building up to the next Call of Duty entry. The files were spotted by an eagle-eyed dataminer and shared on X, where they show these two guns might be coming to the game, along with a couple of other items. In response, MW3 players are elated about the possibility of being able to use either gun again, with one user saying, “If we get the Kar98k and the Spas 12 next season, it’s automatically gonna be the best season for that alone.” Or, as another person puts it, the community is going to be “eating good” for the upcoming seasons. However, another big piece of this news is what the inclusion of the Kar98 and SPA-12 could mean for the future of the series, as it is just a few months until the next entry is released, which is rumored to be titled Black Ops Gulf War. One player theorizes about this when they say: “Gulf War early weapons like with the STG prior to Vanguard’s launch?” The CoD series is no stranger to using the current game to tease what is coming next, so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for these guns to help build up the hype for this year’s entry. The MW3 and Warzone communities will just have to wait and see since, even with these files, there is no confirmed date for when such additions could happen.

  • Warzone players ecstatic as most hated Gulag feature is finally removed – Dexerto

Warzone players ecstatic as most hated Gulag feature is finally removed ActivisionWarzone players are rejoicing as a new update has removed a controversial loadout option from the Gulag. Laser sights have been removed from Gulag loadouts in March 19’s update to the game and the community couldn’t be happier about it. But why were they so controversial in the first place? When Night Vision modes came to Gulag in Warzone, players immediately aimed their displeasure at the laser sights being forced onto loadouts. The issue grew from the fact that these lasers were visible to the enemy, meaning that both players’ positions were easily found. Now, that won’t be a problem. The change came as part of the March 19 update, which brought about a lot of tweaks to both Warzone and the other modes in Modern Warfare III. Across social media, Warzone fans have praised the change, as over on X, one user said: “Finally removed the lasers. Wow thank god an actual useful feature.” Finally removed the lasers. Wow thank god an actual useful feature — Jabob (@The_Jabob) March 19, 2024 Over on the Warzone subreddit, one player simply said about the announcement: “Can I upvote this 100 times. FINALLY.” This doesn’t mean that everyone is happy, though, as one player countered this change with a concern for playstyle: “Let the camping resume.” Of course, this is but a small change. The player base is still asking for some attention to be paid to other issues, primarily the perceived increase in cheating and other bugs in the game. Even with these other demands, it’s clear that the players are happy to have this change to make the Gulag experience better.

  • Warzone players dumbstruck by new ‘no recoil’ Modern Warfare 3 attachment – Dexerto

Warzone players dumbstruck by new ‘no recoil’ Modern Warfare 3 attachment ActivisionWarzone and Modern Warfare 3 players have been left astounded by a powerful new attachment that offers little to no recoil and looks to become a key part of any weapon build. Over the years, Call of Duty has had its fair share of broken and interesting weapon attachments. Grenade Launchers ruled the day in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, but things have gone up a level with the addition of weapon tuning and more in-depth loadouts. Modern Warfare 3 has added a new layer with Aftermarket Parts now being added and, in some cases, massively changing the way certain guns work. These Aftermarket Parts have, however, come under plenty of criticism from players. Some have called them “pointless,” but there is a new attachment that’s been added in the Season 1 Reloaded battle pass which has got players pretty astounded. MW3 players blown away by new JAK BFB muzzle attachment The attachment in question is the JAK BFB muzzle which reduces horizontal and vertical recoil, as well as weapon kick in significant fashion – in fact, it reduces gun kick by 60% in some cases. The only downside is that every shot makes you appear on enemy radars like an Advanced UAV. That, however, isn’t going to scare anyone off. “I honestly don’t care how long I’m on the minimap with that thing, I’m never not putting it on a gun that I have the ability to,” said one player. “The recoil reduction is so strong you can build wholly for mobility, scuff your recoil, and then more than balance it out with the BFB,” another added. “This is a great attachment. It reduces so much visual recoil from the MW2 guns. I run it on the Kastov 762 and it’s actually viable now,” another commented. Other players noted that they’ll be interested to see how the devs may tackle the balancing of the muzzle, seeing as the pros and cons of it currently look pretty fine. It’ll be interesting to see if the muzzle does become a must-use with every weapon, but it’s clearly captured the community’s attention early on.

  • Warzone players divided over Perk changes: Ghost nerf, Restock spam – Dexerto

Warzone players divided over Perk changes: Ghost nerf, Restock spam ActivisionRaven Software recently revealed major buffs and nerfs to Perks in Warzone, including Ghost, Scavenger, and Quick Fix. However, the community is split on whether or not the changes are for the better. After the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update ushered in a slew of major changes to both Caldera and Rebirth Island, players quickly began noticing some gameplay changes that hadn’t been mentioned in the patch notes. CoD expert TrueGameData discovered that the controversial Ghost Perk had been secretly nerfed into the ground, then JGOD followed up by revealing that both Quick Fix and Restock had been buffed. Raven have since confirmed that they have deployed massive changes to five Warzone Perks and updated the patch notes to reflect them. Meanwhile, the community has been fiercely debating whether or not the changes were the right call. The Ghost Perk was hit the hardest by the changes. Those using it are now only hidden from the map when moving, drastically limiting its usefulness and completely changing the way many Warzone players will approach combat. Raven also opted to increase the protection offered by E.O.D, put Stims on a 60-second cooldown and reduce the overall recharge time when using Restock, give an Armor Plate to Scavenger users when they loot an enemy, and start health regeneration when using an Armor Plate with Quick Fix. The reasoning behind the Perk revamp is that many of Warzone’s options were “originally built for a multiplayer experience,” and this is the developer’s way of tuning the game to suit a battle royale. The updated Perks have proved divisive among players. In response to the developer’s tweet, ModernWarzone called the new Perks a “W,” saying: “Loving the most recent updates and really think the future is looking bright for Warzone!” W. Loving the most recent updates and really think the future is looking bright for Warzone! — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) March 28, 2022 Although some players welcomed the changes with open arms, others feel they promote styles of play that will make the game less fun overall. “The amount of toxicity that’s gonna come from Restock, stuns, and flashes is going to be ridiculous,” said Aldosarii on Reddit. “Imagine a team of 4 spamming that s**t.” Others argued that Raven is catering to hardcore players more than casuals by nerfing Ghost, a popular choice for stealthy gameplay. “Once again it’s a middle finger to anyone who doesn’t like to play drenched in b**l sweat,” replied another enraged fan. “The first circle cuts off half the map before you’ve even landed, there are about a million bounties that go on you more than once and now Ghost has been nerfed. “This is bad news for the casual [players] like me,” agreed Chris Ellis. “For me, the game is getting harder and harder to a point where I simply won’t play. The skill gap is too large now.” Once again it’s a middle finger to anyone who doesn’t like to play drenched in ball sweat. First circle cuts off half the map before you’ve even landed, there’s about a million bounties that go on you more than once and now Ghost has been nerfed. 🖕🏻right back at you — Russ (@theblackwhisper) March 28, 2022 While there are vastly differing opinions among the community, the developers are clearly convinced that the tweaks are for the best, calling them a “glimpse of what is to come in Season Three.” We’ll have to wait and see how the new-look Perks affect the flow of Warzone matches before making a judgment. Hopefully, players will adapt to them quickly and the backlash won’t continue for too long into the new season.

  • Warzone players divided over looting system rework leak in Modern Warfare 3 – Dexerto

Warzone players divided over looting system rework leak in Modern Warfare 3 ActivisionWarzone expert JGOD claims that Modern Warfare 3 plans to remove the backpack looting system, and community members aren’t sure how to feel. All battle royale titles have some form of looting system. In the case of Warzone 2, the devs spent an entire year tinkering to pursue the perfect method. The game initially attempted to streamline looting by introducing a backpack system. Players picked up medium or large backpacks to store loot. Unfortunatley, the devs didn’t account for players abusing the system by loading their backpacks with self-revives and killstreaks. This forced Infinity Ward to remove backpack looting in favor of loot containers exploding loot onto the floor. Players still store items in a backpack, but it’s a small bag instead of the previously removed larger options. WZ2’s change in direction is still starkly different than WZ1’s looting, as operators could only hold a max of 240 rounds of AR ammo or two lethal grenades at a time. Additionally, players only carried two weapons, one kill streak and one self-revive. Some community members like the additional carry space, while others want a return to basics. Modern Warfare 3 leak reveals new Warzone looting system Warzone streamer Repullze asked if Modern Warfare 3 would use the same backpack system in Warzone. JGOD clarified: “I heard a leak that it’s eventually going to be phased out.” Repullze celebrated the leak, but the same can’t be said for other community members. Fellow content creator tcTekk aruged: “Are we forgetting the inventory management in Warzone 1 was the worst thing I’ve ever seen??? Infinitely worse than the backpack system. I’d rather be able to hold extra plates, ammo, uavs, etc…” Meanwhile, reliable COD leaker TheGhostOfHope fired back: “It was streamlined, and you didn’t spend minutes going through your inventory. The backpack system is what I’d call a “loitering problem.” And a second user added: “Inventory management? The best part about wz1 is I didn’t have to manage that sh**.” Community members couldn’t come to an agreement on the best looting or inventory management system. And we won’t know for sure which way the devs are leaning until the battle royale servers go live later this year.

  • Warzone players divided on map rotations after Season 4 removes popular map – Dexerto

Warzone players divided on map rotations after Season 4 removes popular map ActivisionWarzone players are still hoping that the Call of Duty devs take a further leap out of Apex Legends’ book now that Ashika Island has been removed from the map pool as they’re split on map rotations. When Warzone first launched, there was just one map – Verdansk. As the battle royale has expanded over the last few years, more maps have been added to the mix, including smaller battlefields like Rebirth Island, Vondel, Ashika Island, and Fortune’s Keep. Vondel and Ashika Island were kept as holdovers from Modern Warfare 2, but Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep were re-added in Modern Warfare 3. The Season 4 update has seen the removal of Ashika, and fans are split over its removal, with some wanting to see CoD take a leap out of Apex Legends’ book and give them longer between map rotations. “So f**king stupid (removing Ashika) They can just bring it back per season like Apex does. And maybe add in some improvements in the downtime,” one player said. “I don’t mind the rotations. I just want the rotations to be more like every 2-4 hours. It feels like I can never get into a groove on the map,” one player added. “Rotations are healthy. Playing Rebirth for 2 months straight was pain,” another player commented. Some players still want a dedicated Rebirth Island playlist too, away from Ranked play. “So many people came back for rebirth and rebirth alone. Why not have rotation on the crappy maps and Rebirth Island gets its own,” one argued. “I don’t understand removing Ashika if they weren’t doing so to keep a dedicated Rebirth playlist,” another said. “Rotation playlists are cool and I enjoy them but I’d also like to play the newer map? Hopefully, there’s a new playlist updated which adds a dedicated Rebirth mode,” another commented. As noted, if you want only to play Rebirth Island, you can do so in Ranked play, but that doesn’t appeal to everyone.

  • Warzone players divided as “stacking” meta takes over – Dexerto

Warzone players divided as “stacking” meta takes over ActivisionWarzone players are in a heavy debate amongst each other as the new “stacking” meta continues to grow. While Warzone offers an option to play solo, a lot of the game’s players like to jump into the game’s four-person teams mode, also know as Quads. However, many of these players are choosing this mode in order to run something the playerbase has begun to call “Solo-Quad”, in which you drop into a match of Quads, but divert from your team in order to try and wipe out another team by yourself. Now, players have begun teaming up together in Quads, called “Stacking”, in order to combat this, and the solo players are not happy about it. Warzone players are split about “stacking” meta taking over The debate reached a fever pitch this past weekend after an onslaught of clips were posted by the solo players criticizing the stacking strategy. In one such post on X, a player showed a clip of them encountering a full team of four players who made quick work of them. The response from the community has been divisive, to say the least. One such response to the post on X with a pretty biting, sarcastic comment, saying, “‘… there’s a team of 4 pushing me in a gamemode made for teams of 4, rather than getting to cover, I’ll slide around in front of all of them, lose 3/4 of my health, then ego chall all 4 of them, just to moan on twitter than they killed me.’” Over on Reddit, the debate is raging as well, with a recent post calling out those who are opposed to stacking with a very succinct meme: Many of the responses here are also critical of these players who are complaining, with one user saying, “Stacking is a term made up by people with no friends. Are we just not allowed to queue up with the buds anymore?” A good portion of the fans are blaming streamers and professional players for the anger towards stacking, as other players are trying to mimic their content to get their own gameplay clips. However, it would seem that a majority of average players are in favor of stacking and playing with your team.

  • Warzone players divided as Season 5 nerf puts Crossbow “in the dirt” – Dexerto

Warzone players divided as Season 5 nerf puts Crossbow “in the dirt” ActivisionA new Season 5 nerf to the crossbow which will decrease its damage across the board has divided fans. With Season 5 of Warzone finally out, a lot has changed across the battle royale. Warzone’s Season 5 patch notes revealed a lot of buffs and nerfs coming to weapons like the KGM40, the Armaguerra, and the Marco 5. However, Raven Software also hit the Crossbow a nerf, which left Warzone fans divided about the future of the Marksman Rifle. Players divided after Crossbow nerf in Warzone Season 5 The discussion spawned from a post on the CODWarzone subreddit, where user Wombat_Wombat lamented the nerf. They argued that the Crossbow was “one of the hardest weapons to use” and that they were worried this nerf would “break it.” However, plenty of players took umbrage with calling the Crossbow “hard to use” considering its recent performance in the battle royale. “It’s a fun gun but not one of the hardest to use. It was a literal one-shot anywhere,” said Odd-Oddysey. Similarly, ArasakaHRdepartment argued that it was a “cheese gun” and said, “…You only have to hit one shot, and it’s a one tap. Like yeah, it’s niche but…” Of course, other players agreed with Wombat, like user dustyaff who lamented the crossbow going “down in [the] dirt.” User Djabouty47 said a similar situation happened with the Dragon Breath VLK. “It was a gun that took skill in order to play right, they buff it a bit, and then nerf it into obscurity. At least the Crossbow had a good run and actually received a buff.” Like any Marksman or Sniper Rifle, it does take a bit of experience and skill to actually land shots on target. However, a weapon that is a one-hit kill tends to be viewed as unfair by the community, as seen with Apex Legends’ Kraber. As such, players probably shouldn’t get their hopes up about the Crossbow being a one-shot powerhouse down the line in Warzone Season 5.

  • Warzone players divided as “pay to lose” skin makes it impossible to hide – Dexerto

Warzone players divided as “pay to lose” skin makes it impossible to hide ActivisionCall of Duty players have hit out at a new “pay to lose” skin in Warzone that will make you stand out in pretty much any situation, but some are actually fans of it. Epic Games changed the battle royale landscape when they started adding new skins and cosmetics to Fortnite with pretty much every weekly update. It started off as their own designs and ideas but they quickly started adding crossovers and influencer skins. Call of Duty has been following the same blueprint for a while, giving players a multitude of ways to customize their look in-game. This has split the community somewhat, given that a lot of players would prefer to see more realistic military skins in-game rather than a crossover with, say, Diablo. However, there is a new skin that has drawn some anger from parts of the community, and it’s a part of the Sketched Out tracker pack as it looks like you won’t be able to camp at all if you decide to use it. CoD players unsure on new Pop-Erator skin in Warzone The new Pop Art-inspired pack was added to the COD Store on February 6, just ahead of MW3’s Season 2 update, and comes with the aptly-named Pop-Erator skin for Kortac, as well as blueprints for the Striker 9 and MCW. The operator’s skin is decked out in yellow, red, purple, blue, and white, and that has annoyed some players who would rather the game have more ‘realistic’ skins. “Can’t wait to see all people who buy this and literally pay to lose,” said one player. “This is definitely a pay-to-lose skin,” another agreed. “Seen some cheaters running this skin a couple of weeks ago, looked stupid asf. Stands out way more than any other skin,” added another. Others are fans of the skin, however. “I like this, but I’m too much of a bot to be seen this easily,” said one. “Looks dope, not very functional though. It’s like most high fashion,” another commented. “I mean it does look pretty cool lol idk I’ve never cared that skins got outlandish. Mil sim skins are cool but do get kinda boring.” If the skin is too visible in-game then it might be something that the devs have to look at for a change. But, for now, go wild if you’re a fan.

  • Warzone players ditch NZ-41 for old favorites after Season 4 Reloaded changes – Dexerto

Warzone players ditch NZ-41 for old favorites after Season 4 Reloaded changes ActivisionWith the dominant NZ-41 being nerfed in Warzone, fans of the Call of Duty battle royale have been crowning a new top dog when it comes to assault rifles as a few old favorites are getting some love. Over the last few months, the Call of Duty: Warzone meta has been firmly taken over by weapons from Call of Duty: Vanguard. This is in part thanks to their capabilities to have 10 attachments, as well as the deadly fire rates across the board. Prior to its nerf in Season 4 Reloaded, the NZ-41 ticked every box for most players, seeing as it has a fast fire rate, easy to handle recoil, and could win gunfights at pretty much every range. Despite its nerf, some players are sticking with the Vanguard assault rifle, but there are plenty of others looking to use something else – and that includes a few old favorites that have been on the fringes for quite some time. Warzone players split on best AR after NZ-41 nerf Following the NZ-41 nerf, members of the CoDWarzone subreddit have been running a poll to try and figure which weapon will take the spot vacated by the Vanguard weapon as the game’s go-to rifle. While some players feel strongly about the KG M40, the clubhouse leader is the ‘other’ option, where some players have sprung for the likes of the Cooper Carbine, M13, Kilo, and even the Grau. “Cooper is fire,” one player said. “Automaton has never let me down,” added another. “M13 is king,” agreed another player. Some players believe the NZ-41 is still the go-to weapon, and feel that other weapons are still “underpowered” despite recent buffs, but it appears as if many are moving on from the Vanguard AR. As per WZRanked stats, the NZ’s pick rate has fallen from 17% down to around 9% and it is being caught by the likes of the Marco 5 and Kilo 141. Though, it remains to be seen just how exactly the meta will be shaped by the changes.

  • Warzone players dissatisfied as July ban wave removes 50K hackers – Dexerto

Warzone players dissatisfied as July ban wave removes 50K hackers Twitch, HusKerrsThe July wave of bans have come through to Warzone as Raven Software removed over 50,000 hackers. But players are still not happy and are not being shy about their feelings. There has been quite the buzz around the Warzone community lately with games being ruined by hackers. Whether it’s going invisible, walling, or just aim-botting, the community has been asking for action to be taken against these cheaters. Warzone players received some good news regarding hackers, but it still isn’t the answer the community is looking for. While around 50,000 hackers were banned on July 16 by Raven Software, the community seems not to think this will help the free-to-play game’s cheater problem. New Warzone ban wave from @RavenSoftware 👨⚖️ Hopefully this means less “pants” tags ruining matches. pic.twitter.com/lI9cjjmROI — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 16, 2021 Warzone ban waves not enough, fans want anti-cheat According to Activision, Warzone has over 100 million players so the community feels that banning less than 1% of the player base will not fix the issue of hackers running through Verdansk. People took their frustration to the Twitter replies, with one by the name of ‘internalcnflct’ laughing at the devs because the hackers will be able to make new accounts. Other players were all asking the same question: when will there be a proper anti-cheat in the game? ‘DeltaKila’ is tired of hackers and wants to know if the devs are ready to get serious about it. Two-factor authentication would be great in order to avoiding multiple accounts.. I’m actually curious to see if your anti-cheat update is finally serious or if you are going to take us for idiots one more time. — Rebecca (@DeltaKila) July 16, 2021 Warzone streamer Stukawaki was permanently banned live on stream in the middle of a tournament. Turns out someone hacked into his account and was cheating in Warzone lobbies. Warzone does have a two-factor authentication system and when players set it up they’ll receive two Double Battle Pass XP Tokens. Banned for being too good? Brett Hayes along with other people are claiming that the devs are banning people that are not even hacking. So it raises attention to what Raven Software’s “anti-cheat” system consists of. Other replies include people posting their Activision IDs claiming they were wrongfully banned while playing the game. Raven Software have not made it public what goes into their banning process or their plans for a proper anti-cheat, but the community will not let them hear the end of it until it happens. Ban waves don’t seem to be cutting it anymore.

  • Warzone players discover why XP feels so broken & want glitch fixed – Dexerto

Warzone players discover why XP feels so broken & want glitch fixed ActivisionWarzone players have discovered that they are not receiving the right amount of XP that they are supposed to be getting and want a fix to come soon. With every season of Warzone comes its own battle pass and its own set of levels that need to be grinded out to receive maximum rewards. If you want to reach level 1,000 by the end of the season then it will require you to gain around 20 levels a day. Rewards include, emblems, calling cards, weapon blueprints, prestige keys, and more. Players take countless hours, days, and weekends grinding to reach the maximum level and are outraged that they are not getting the full amount of XP they should be. Warzone players receiving less XP than earned Lots of members in the Warzone community have been reporting that since the launch of the Season Four Reloaded update they are earning less XP than what the in-game screen is showing. In this Reddit post, a player, ‘MadAshx,’ breaks down everything from time played to XP needed. For example they say the post-game screen shows them earning 23,000 XP from a game played. When checking the “Match Summary” tab after loading back into the lobby it shows they are actually earning anywhere from 10-20% of the 23,000 XP intended. This also means that when activating any Double XP tokens that have been earned from the battle pass or from other methods, those will not give “normal XP” to the player. This significantly adds time it will take to level up and max out your season rank. Other players have noticed that they too are received less XP than what they earned. One comment on the post said, “I opened a support ticket because I’m affected by this. The answer I got was it was handed off to a ‘specialized team’ to investigate.” Activision have yet to publicly comment on anything related to XP issues, but have announced Double XP this weekend for Multiplayer and Zombies. The glitch was initially thought to just be in the Plunder game mode but after surfacing, players are claiming that it is across all Warzone game modes. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and update when possible, as players are probably itching to get their full XP.

  • Warzone players discover the most “underrated” Perk 1 choice – Dexerto

Warzone players discover the most “underrated” Perk 1 choice ActivisionMW3’s crossover with Warzone brought a few new tricks, including the Mountaineer Perk, which players claim is one of the best choices for Perk 1. After a short preseason, MW3’s Season 1 brought a hefty suite of content, including the highly-anticipated integration to Warzone. With it, players can finally use their MW3 setups to rain terror in Urzikstan and the other battle royale modes. One of the more underrated changes involved reworking the Perk system from last year’s MW2, where the developers have changed a few things around. For example, new Perks have been added, and Overkill was made a default perk, which has received high praise. Speaking of new Perks, the Warzone community has been singing their praises about another new Perk, claiming its one of the best Perk 1 choices in the game. Warzone players claim Mountaineer as the best Perk 1 choice As part of the new Perk additions to Warzone, Mountaineer joined the rather stacked first spot. The Perk’s description says it “reduces fall damage,” which is fine, but why would anyone pick that over Battle Hardened or E.O.D? So it kind of just sat in that category unused until Call of Duty mastermind JGOD dropped a YouTube video testing all the Warzone Perks in-game. It turns out Mountaineer doubles the height requirement before fall damage becomes lethal. 13.5 meters is the lethal number, but with Mountaineer, it nearly doubles to around 27 meters before becoming fatal. It seems those who’ve watched JGOD’s video have taken note of the Perk’s benefits. In a clip shared to the CODWarzone Reddit, Warzone player Clipsin7 showed how good Mountaineer really is, as the video starts with them falling from a lethal height before regaining composure to secure the win. Mountaineer stocks will most likely see a rise in Warzone as this clip and more Warzone players continue to spread the word. However, it’s interesting how much the developers undersold the Perk since players like TimTheTatman could severely use something like this. For now, be sure to double-check Perk descriptions for any hidden benefits as they could be game-changing.

  • Warzone players discover simple trick to get loadout weapons faster – Dexerto

Warzone players discover simple trick to get loadout weapons faster ActivisionInstead of waiting for a loadout drop, CoD content creator IceManIsaac discovered a way to get loadout weapons quickly at the start of a Warzone match. In Season 3, Raven Software introduced a Squad Assemble bonus that rewards players for landing near their teammates at the beginning of a game. Each squad member receives XP if any teammates ping the location where you land before the first teammate touches the ground. In addition, if everyone lands together, you get a Supply UAV, which can highlight supply boxes through walls. This includes favorite supply boxes that reward your primary and secondary loadout weapons. Finding the red crate at the start of the match gives you a leg up on the rest of the competition, as enemies will likely only have ground loot weapons. Squad bonuses only apply in duos, trios, and squads, but IceManIsaac also revealed a way for solo fans to take advantage of this trick. All buy stations sell Supply UAVs for $2,000. So, instead of spending $7,500 on a loadout drop, or waiting for all the way until the first circle closes for the first free loadout, IceManIsaac recommends purchasing a Supply UAV early and using it locate a favorite supply box. Pulling off this trick is simpler at hot drop locations because it’s easier to make money faster from the overabundance of chests. However, while favorite supply boxes are great, they only hand out primary and secondary weapons. To get perks, you will either have to loot them, take them off a downed enemy, or get your own from a loadout drop. If you want to change which primary and secondary weapons come from a favorite supply box, go into the loadout customization screen and make your preferred weapon combo your favorite. Check out our guide on the best loadouts in Season 5 for a better idea of which weapons to favorite.

  • Warzone players discover simple method to unlock Vargo 52 in Cold War Zombies – Dexerto

Warzone players discover simple method to unlock Vargo 52 in Cold War Zombies ActivisionWarzone fans have been scrambling to unlock the new Vargo 52 assault rifle and players have found an easy way to finish the challenge in Cold War Zombies. The Vargo 52 is the newest gun to be added and it’s accessible in both Cold War and Warzone. Call of Duty fans were surprised with a March 4 Black Ops Cold War update, which brought back the classic map WMD and the new assault rifle to the arsenal. You need to complete a challenge to unlock it, which can be hard. But thankfully, there’s a simple trick and all you need to do is play Cold War Zombies. How to easily unlock Vargo 52 in Cold War Zombies To unlock the Vargo in Cold War Zombies all you need to do is collect 750 kills with a three-time Pack-a-Punched AR. While it sounds a bit difficult, one player has found an exploit for this. I unlocked the Vargo 52 in ~35 minutes by loading up Black Ops Cold War Zombies and just using this broken door in Die Maschine. All you have to do is kill 750 Zombies with an AR that has been pack-a-punched 3 times. pic.twitter.com/NMjBctBqbr — BrunoJohn117 (@BrunoJohn117) March 4, 2022 On Twitter, BrunoJohn posted a clip sitting in a room and having all the zombies run directly to them. This allowed them to get the 750 kills to unlock the Vargo. And the best part is it only took them 30 minutes to complete. To complete this, you need to load into Die Maschine and turn on the power. Once doing that you need to enter an Anomaly to open the door next to Speed Cola. After completing that, find an assault rifle and Pack-a-Punch it three times. Now, all you have to do is sit in the door that was opened from the Anomaly near Speed Cola. By being in this room all of the zombies will run right at you. Since you have a packed weapon, you will mow down the zombies and fly through the rounds, accumulating the 750 kills needed in just about 30 minutes.

  • Warzone players discover possible hint at dinosaurs for Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone players discover possible hint at dinosaurs for Season 3 Activision / FrontierWarzone Season 2 may just be getting underway, but fans are already looking forward to Season 3 as they find a little Easter egg that could hint toward dinosaurs running the island. The new season of Warzone has bought game-changing fixes. Along with the massive quality of life update and the addition of redeploy balloons, players are getting that fresh feeling again. Even though the season is still fairly new, the community is already looking forward to what’s to come. After discovering a token in plain sight on Caldera, fans are now predicting that Warzone will get a Jurassic Park theme in the near future. Warzone discovery hints at Season 3 dinosaurs In a Reddit post by ‘aur0n’ a picture of this token, a little toy dinosaur found at Peak. Now, players are bringing out some wild conspiracy theories. Players think that this little green animal means that Warzone could be getting some sort of dinosaur action soon. One Redditor said, “Jurassic Park integration with Season 3. New Meta: The Raptor” And another added that the next theme should be called “Jurassic Warfare.” Players seemed to be in love with this, calling it a “billion dollar idea” and wanting to see it happen. A fan added, “Sounds kinda lit to be honest.” If this were to come to Warzone, that could mean something like a tyrannosaurus rex could hunt you down on the map. While Warzone already had Krampus running around Caldera, it doesn’t seem unreasonable to have dinosaurs do the same. With rumors of King Kong coming to the game this could be hinting at an event or theme in the future of Warzone. Season 3 of Warzone Pacific is expected to release at the end of March or beginning of April, so if this becomes a feature then, it is still a ways away.

  • Warzone players discover pay to win MP40 blueprint in Season 1 Battle Pass – Dexerto

Warzone players discover pay to win MP40 blueprint in Season 1 Battle Pass Activision / PexelsAfter the Vangaurd: Season 1 update introduced a new map and weapons to the battle royale, Warzone players discovered an MP40 blueprint in the Battle Pass that’s being labeled as “pay to win.” The new season is the beginning of a fresh era of Warzone by integrating Caldera and all that Vanguard has to offer into the battle royale. On top of that, players were given a packed battle pass with 100 tiers worth of rewards to earn. From blueprints to operator skins, there’s so much to unpack from it. However, the community has discovered one blueprint in the pass that’s pay to win since it has an attachment that isn’t allowed. Warzone has pay to win MP40 blueprint If you’re looking for a competitive advantage over your enemies then you’ll want to rock the Space Issue MP40 blueprint. ‘BearPig’ took to Twitter when he was discovered that through this MP40 has the attachment Vital which “Increases the size of the critical-hit area on enemies.” This means that chest shots can register as headshot damage making the TTK even faster. This MP40 Blueprint from the battle pass has a perk 1 called “”Vital”” which can not be used unless you have this blueprint… Early stages of P2W or just a bug? pic.twitter.com/S8oi6XdoZP — BearPig 🧸🐷 (@BearPigCentral) December 11, 2021 Players are calling this “pay to win” as the Space Issue is only unlocked by purchasing the battle pass and reaching tier 45. For those wondering, Vital is not an attachment on a normal MP40 loadout. In the Vanguard beta, Vital was able to be equipped with the MP40 but was removed before the game was launched. So it is possible that the devs forgot to remove it from the blueprint prior to releasing the battle pass. There are mixed reports from players saying that this is just a visual bug while others claim it is actually doing more damage. However, if it is packing a heavier punch than normal MP40s, players are worried this could start a pay-to-win trend in Warzone.

  • Warzone players discover new Buy Station glitch that’s ruining matches – Dexerto

Warzone players discover new Buy Station glitch that’s ruining matches ActivisionAs Warzone players dive deeper into Season 2 Reloaded, they have discovered one of the game’s most infamous glitch, the freezing buy station, is back with a twist and ruining matches. Season 2 Reloaded dropped on March 23 and even though a massive quality of life update came with this, there are still some lingering problems. Back in Pacific Season 1, Warzone players were faced with arguably the most annoying glitch ever. When opening a Buy Station, your game would freeze for around five seconds, and usually got you killed or crashed the game. Now, in Season 2 Reloaded, Buy Stations are glitched once again, and it’s just as bad as before. Warzone Buy Station glitch is back Multiple players took to Reddit as they reported another frustrating Buy Station glitch across Rebirth and Caldera. This bug isn’t freezing the game, but instead it is causing your cursor to reset back to the top of the Buy Station menu. Meaning, that once you have scrolled a couple spaces down to buy a UAV for example, it will reset your selection back to the top and you will need to scroll again. Players are getting extremely annoyed as they are trying to buy something quick in the heat of battle but keep picking the wrong thing. One Redditor said, “F**k man I bought so many gas masks by mistake today because of that s**t.” Others were convinced that their controller wasn’t working properly with multiple saying “I thought my controller was broken.” However, after mass reports from players, it appears that this is just another installment of the Buy Station glitch. At the time of writing this, it doesn’t appear that Raven is aware this is happening. Nothing has been marked on their Trello board and the devs haven’t tweeted about this issue. So for now, players need to use these with extra caution until this gets fixed.

  • Warzone players discover hidden spot you can go out-of-bounds without dying – Dexerto

Warzone players discover hidden spot you can go out-of-bounds without dying ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone is full of tricks, and players are still discovering more even a year after the battle royale’s release. Now, players have found out that there’s a secret spot on the Verdansk ‘84 map where you can survive going out of bounds. Whether dropping in or rotating, Verdansk has a bright red outline that players are cautioned not to cross. If you do accidentally enter the forbidden zone, you are hit with a timer that counts down a few seconds before instantly killing you. There are some areas that you can quickly pop in and out of to gain better position, like the mountainsides around Salt Mine that are home to notorious Tree Timmies. But Warzone players have discovered another spot that can be used to great advantage. Between Park and Port, there’s an area that slices inward and is marked as off-limits. While you physically can’t stand on the area, as it’s all water, someone on Reddit wanted to know if you could parachute or fly through it. The answer? A resounding yes. As you can see in the image, uploaded (and edited) by ‘Spirit_alphaa,’ the stretch between Port and Park divides two sections of safe territory. While you literally can’t walk over it and this game doesn’t have Blackout’s swimming mechanics, they wanted to know if you can safely fly over it. It used to set off a timer — but players explains that it no longer does and you can safely parachute through it. This is a useful tip, as you can use it to get to places like Port or Prison quicker in the beginning of he game. It can also be useful for rotations, as someone explained you can parachute off of the Port cranes to Park using this secret spot. If you’re worried about being held by Downtown campers, this becomes an ingenious strategy.

  • Warzone players discover easiest way to kill Krampus: Just ‘jump him’ – Dexerto

Warzone players discover easiest way to kill Krampus: Just ‘jump him’ Activision / Pexels / PixabayCall of Duty: Warzone’s holiday event, Festive Fervor, brought Krampus to the Pacific to wreak havoc. Now, players have figured out a simple, surprisingly effective way to kill Krampus – by ganging up on him and throwing hands. Krampus is a mythological monster. In Warzone, he’s a menace who has bothered players to the point that people called for nerfs to the “unbelievably stupid” creature and are still complaining even after those nerfs arrived. While Krampus did earn some brownie points by killing a hacker, that wasn’t enough to sway popular opinion. Not simply content with avoiding or killing the beast, players are instead figuring out the fastest, best way to kill Krampus. And, after lots of experimentation, it turns out there’s a simple method: jumping Krampus and meleeing him to death with a full squad. The best way to kill Krampus in Warzone: Jump him Originally posted to TikTok by ‘mrocksyt,’ they also shared the video to Reddit. And their method for defeating Krampus is surprisingly simple and effective – you gang up on the monster and just keep punching him. As it turns out, this method not only works quickly, but it also prevents Krampus from teleporting away while not wasting any of your ammo. With the squad whooping the mythological demon amid a chorus of “fight back” taunts, he’s beat down in under a minute and unable to kill anyone in the process. The downside to this method is that it leaves you susceptible to any enemies in the vicinity. While it’s nice not to waste any ammo and kill Krampus quickly, it’s true that this group beating would be an easy target for opponents. But if you’re in a relatively safe part of the map, this could be a great way to get the monster off your back. If you can kill Krampus with haste and without sacrificing ammo, that time is well worth not having to deal with him hunting you down for three minutes of the entire game.

  • Warzone players discover “DMR 2.0” as new marksman rifle dominates Urzikstan – Dexerto

Warzone players discover “DMR 2.0” as new marksman rifle dominates Urzikstan ActivisionContent creator Zyro has discovered a new “DMR 2.0 Meta” with MW3’s MTZ Interceptor, which is capable of insane damage output in Warzone. Modern Warfare 3‘s launch brought a new wave of weapons for CoD players to use, with the end goal of getting ready for the game’s integration into Warzone. Season 1’s arrival ushered in the highly-anticipated Warzone integration, and players are looking for what’ll dominate the field. Heavy hitters from MW3’s multiplayer, such as the MCW, Rival-9, and Holger 556, are expected to be in the mix for some time. However, one Warzone player discovered an unlikely candidate set to dominate Urzikstan and usher in the new “DMR 2.0” meta. MW3’s MTZ Interceptor is the new “DMR 2.0 Meta” in Warzone Warzone player and content creator Zyro discovered what may be the beginning of the DMR 2.0 meta in Warzone. In a short video, he shows the MW3 marksman rifle, the MTZ Interceptor, shredding through training dummies. “Looking at the Interceptor, probably the most broken gun in the game right now,” Zyro started the video. “We got three plates on. This thing is literally two-shotting to the head.” He then proceeded to melt the training dummies horrifically while giving Warzone veterans flashbacks of the original DMR meta from Black Ops Cold War. Funnily enough, Zyro encouraged players to use it, although he does include in the tweet he hopes it gets nerfed to the ground. Many responses pleaded with the developers not to nerf this, as it’s “fun to use.” Whether nerfs come or not, be sure to hop into Warzone’s new DMR 2.0 meta before the developers change their minds and ruin the “fun.”

Gas Masks can be the reason behind your downfall in Warzone due to the brief animation that takes over when entering or exiting the circle. The game puts your weapons away and prevents you from firing while putting the mask over your head. Often, this can lead to nothing but frustration. This simple animation has caused all sorts of issues but there are a few surprising ways to avoid it. Here’s how you can stay safe in the gas without taking the time to manually put the mask on. Using Akimbo weapons to avoid the animation. The first unique trick to avoid the Gas Mask animation in Warzone doesn’t ask a lot of players. All you’ll need is a custom class with an Akimbo loadout at the ready, as Reddit user ‘six3sixkawi’ showcased. Numerous weapons in Modern Warfare’s arsenal can be tweaked with a special Akimbo perk. This prevents you from aiming down the sights but gives you two of the same weapon to hip-fire. Since both of your hands are already preoccupied carrying the weapon of your choice, it means that a Gas Mask can’t be manually equipped. However, the game will still put the protective gear on for you if you’re sprinting with the weapons out. Heartbeat Sensors can prevent Gas Mask frustration Another useful strategy to avoid the brief animation is to equip something a little more useful in the moment – A Heartbeat Sensor. Found around Verdansk, this piece of equipment can be pulled up at any time to view the location of nearby enemies. It turns out, looking at the Heartbeat Sensor can also negate the Gas Mask animation too. If you have the equipment in-hand while transitioning in or out of the safe zone, your Gas Mask will instantly be equipped without any hassle. While this method does still put away your primary weapon for a brief moment, it’s much quicker and safer than the typical Gas Mask animation. It could also give you valuable intel in the closing moments of a game. If you’ve been caught out in the open fumbling with a Gas Mask in Warzone, these strategies could be just what you’ve been looking for. You may have to change your play style, or look for loot you wouldn’t otherwise pick up. But the benefits might just save your life in the long run.

  • Warzone players desperate for permanent Plunder return: “Not playing until they put it back” – Dexerto

Warzone players desperate for permanent Plunder return: “Not playing until they put it back” ActivisionWarzone Season 6 has players up in arms after the BR’s popular Plunder playlist was replaced by the new Clash and Payload game modes — with some fans refusing to play at all until it returns. The final season of Warzone before Vanguard’s integration kicked off with a bang, adding new weapons, map changes, and more as a final send-off for the battle royale’s Black Ops Cold War era. While there’s plenty for fans to be excited about, like the new Grav assault rifle and Ironhide shotgun, the updates introduced in Season 6 weren’t all received well by the community. The decision to remove Plunder as a permanent playlist has been particularly unpopular, and despite replacements in the form of Clash and Payload, fans are desperate for the BR’s original objective-based game mode to return — and never go away again. Plunder’s absence puts Warzone players on-edge Despite returning some weeks as a limited-time game mode, Warzone fans are still desperate for Plunder to be reinstated as a permanent fixture, and they made their concerns over its continued absence known on social media. In a thread posted to the game’s subreddit, one fan begged developer Raven Software to “give [them] Plunder back,” and questioned its removal in the first place: “I’m not complaining that there are finally some new modes, but why remove the old ones?” Plenty of other Warzone players added their own support to the petition, along with more criticism over the playlist’s removal. “Clash and Payload are a**,” said one response, before continuing “There is zero reason to remove Plunder.” “I know they’re worried about splitting the player base,” another fan commented, “but . . . frankly, if you can’t keep a game mode alive without forcing players to play it, maybe consider not having that mode at all.” “Whatever the reason is, it’s a s**tty thing to do,” another player remarked. “Plunder is a good mode to just have fun. No stress, no high stakes, just fun,” another fan pointed out, referring to the easier game flow due to constant respawns and the ability to switch between loadouts on-command throughout each match. Whatever the reasoning behind Raven’s removal of Plunder might be, the move certainly hasn’t gone over well with the Warzone community. Only time will tell if the playlist makes a permanent comeback, but for now, players must be be content with hopping in during its limited-time returns.

  • Warzone players desperate for MW3 Ranked as ‘sweats’ ruin casual games – Dexerto

Warzone players desperate for MW3 Ranked as ‘sweats’ ruin casual games ActivisionWarzone players are desperate for ranked to be added to Modern Warfare 3 as they’re worried players could desert the battle royale over the number of “sweats” ruining games. Over the last few years, Warzone has faced the same issue as many other battle royales in finding the right balance between casual, fun gameplay and catering to those higher-skilled players who want to dominate everything no matter how they do it. Many players who can only play for an hour or so at a time have, ultimately, walked away from Warzone because they’ve felt at a disadvantage. That is where a ranked system has helped separate things, allowing those more hardcore players to face off against similarly-minded foes. Ranked has, however, always taken a bit of time to add with each new Warzone cycle, and that creates headaches as well – so much so that some players are threatening to walk away if things don’t change soon. Warzone players want Ranked added to battle royale now That’s right, a number of Warzone players are frustrated with the wait for ranked to be added in Modern Warfare 3 so that can go back to casual lobbies that are completely overrun by ‘sweaty’ players. “At this point, I just straight up don’t have fun anymore. I know every time I load into a game I’m gonna get annihilated. I keep playing in the hopes that something will change, but it’s been months now and nothing has changed,” said one annoyed player. “If they don’t make whatever changes the need to make to keep the sweats in lobbies with each other and give the rest of us a chance, I feel like there’s a lot of average players like me who are just gonna stop playing for good.” Others echoed that sentiment too. “Every single lobby for me is solely inhabited by TTV sweats, the quality of player is so much higher than I can remember it being previously,” added one. “Ranked will take out the sweatiest of players most of the time so it should ease off,” said another. “You have a high KD so you’re in sweat lobbies. I’m in the same boat. Just wait til ranked where we can do the same thing except for points,” commented another. Others argued that the game has barely changed in a few years, so it’s not hard for players to have honed their skills rather than just being straight-up ‘sweats’. Ranked play launches on January 17, but it will take time for the points to be distributed and for everyone to fall into their right level. So, while it is coming soon, there may still be an annoying wait for things to settle down.

  • Warzone players demonstrate why the Swiss K31 has the best sniper scope – Dexerto

Warzone players demonstrate why the Swiss K31 has the best sniper scope Treyarch/ActivisionA Warzone player has shown why the Swiss K31’s default reticle is the best sniper scope in the game and is perfect for eliminating enemies at long range. When it comes to snipers in Warzone, the majority of players run a Kar98k or a HDR as their default long-range loadout. These two weapons are widely viewed as the meta guns and are both incredibly effective at taking out opponents from a distance. Despite this, some of the Warzone community are beginning to warm to the Swiss K31, a sniper rifle added in the Season 3 update. While this gun certainly doesn’t provide as much power as its competitors, its default scope makes it easy to account for bullet drop. This makes the weapon consistent and effective at long range, especially for players that previously struggled with the standard default reticle. Warzone players claim Swiss K31 has the best scope A thread posted to the Warzone subreddit claiming the Swiss K31 has the best default reticle in the game has garnered over 800 upvotes at the time of writing. Rxelik_23 demonstrates the power of the reticle in a set of clips, showing how simple it is to land longe range shots with the Season 3 sniper. Compared to the standard scope on the Kar98k, the Swiss 31’s default reticle has a set of extra lines that make it easy to account for bullet drop at long range. On top of this, Rxelik_23 even takes the time to show where players should placing their scope, depending on the distance of an enemy. This means you can jump into your next Warzone game and immediately start hitting highlight-reel shots with the Swiss K31. While the Swiss K31’s easy-to-use scope doesn’t make it the best sniper in the game, it’s definitely worth testing to see if you prefer it to the other meta snipers. Who knows, it could allow you to hit those all-important long-range shots you often miss and even be the difference-maker in a number of intense games in the future. The only way to find out is to equip the Swiss K31 and take the time to practice with the unique reticle.

  • Warzone players demand “stupid” Rebirth Island Plunder feature is removed – Dexerto

Warzone players demand “stupid” Rebirth Island Plunder feature is removed ActivisionRebirth Island’s Plunder mode is among the most popular sub-modes in Call of Duty: Warzone, but some players think it needs to scrap one key feature to get even better. Plunder is a game mode in which a player or team can rack up insane amounts of cash that are formulated on the ground as loot, as well as kills and XP. The goal is to make the most amount of cash possible to get a huge amount of XP in the end. While it’s popular, not everybody is satisfied with how it works on the smaller map, Rebirth Island. The Plunder helicopter, in particular, has been described as “irritating” and “unnecessary” by members of the community, as some are calling for its removal. Warzone players don’t want this Plunder feature In a Reddit post uploaded by a user called Cit1es, the Warzone player explained what needs to change in Plunder, on Rebirth Island, for it to improve. They said: “The Helicopters that come in once the game is almost over… I get having them on big maps I guess (still never liked having them and honestly no one I know does) but they absolutely DO NOT WORK ON REBIRTH. The map is too small.” The post goes on to list examples from personal experiences, such as being shot and killed by the helicopters in really small circles – as well as the loud sound it causes. “Late game when the helicopters come in, the map is so small you are constantly being shot by them, constantly, wherever you are,” the Redditor continued. “The absolute worst part is because of them shooting everywhere it is almost impossible to figure out if you are being shot by an enemy or the helicopters, it completely throws you off and you don’t know who or what to engage.” Rebirth Island attack helicopter counter In the comments, another member of the community offered a counterpoint. The user suggested: “The attack choppers? Cold Blooded counters them.” In the replies, the original poster said: “Regardless of what their counters are they shouldn’t be on a small map like Rebirth and we shouldn’t have to waste a perk on a stupid copy-paste mechanic that quite obviously doesn’t work on the map. “They ruin gunfights completely because you have no idea where to engage or who or what is shooting you. It completely messes up the game and there is absolutely no place for them on Rebirth.” While this player – and many others in the comments – have ended up concluding that the choppers should be completely removed from battle, it remains to be seen whether or not Raven Software will make such a change in the future.

  • Warzone players demand STG nerf after incredible pick rates – Dexerto

Warzone players demand STG nerf after incredible pick rates ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players are calling for nerfs to the STG44 after seeing its pick rates throughout the month of May. Warzone has been getting quite a lot of balance patches since its release and with them, new meta loadouts begin to take shape with certain guns falling out of favor as their damage or other attributes are adjusted. For instance, the AMAX has fallen out of favor hard after receiving some major nerfs in the Season 3 Season Reloaded Update with its maximum and minimum damage being decreased, much to the confusion of the playerbase. On the other hand, STG44, has become a staple for many Warzone players with a huge pick rate, and Warzone enthusiasts are calling for it to be nerfed soon. Warzone players call for STG44 nerfs In a post on the official Warzone Reddit, user aur0n posted a graph showing weapon pick rates. The STG dominates the chart, with nearly double the rate of the second most-picked gun, the MP-40. “Raven be like ‘Mmmh, that AMAX is looking too strong, it has a 0.68% pickrate.’ Meanwhile, the STG…” the user mocked, referencing the aforementioned AMAX nerfs. Some users took the chart quite seriously with one even claiming they would never spent “another cent” on Warzone following the balancing debacle. Others voiced their suspicions on why the STG hasn’t been adjusted just yet. “My personal theory is that the graph above is irrelevant to Raven,” one wrote, explaining how their friend loves the AMAX and learned to play by watching streamers. “Its pick rate doesn’t matter. It’s to force the hand of influencers to play Vanguard weapons, thus forcing the sheep like my friend who copy their every attachment, to buy Vanguard to keep up.” In any case, we’ll have to see if Activision ends up listening to the community and makes some adjustments to the weapon in the future. Until then, take advantage of the STG’s power with this loadout.

  • Warzone players demand sniper nerfs as “ridiculous” Kar98k and Swiss K31 still dominate – Dexerto

Warzone players demand sniper nerfs as “ridiculous” Kar98k and Swiss K31 still dominate ActivisionWarzone players have demanded nerfs to long-range weapons as the battle royale’s “ridiculous” sniper meta continues, spearheaded by the ever-popular Kar98k and Swiss K31. While Warzone’s weapon variety means a host of guns have been meta at one point or another, a few weapons have remained consistently popular since their implementation in the battle royale. They are the Kar98k, Modern Warfare’s marksman rifle, and the Swiss K31, which dropped as post-launch content in Black Ops Cold War. Both snipers are forgiving, quick, and perfect for taking out enemies across the map. However, with them still amongst the most-used weapons since Season 2 Reloaded sought to shake up the meta, some players are demanding Raven introduce blanket nerfs to snipers to balance them. Player ‘meme-viewerno‘ said on April 16 that they were “tired” of the enduring sniper meta and suggested Raven make nerfs to the most prominent weapons in the category in an attempt to push players towards other classes and play styles. “Whether it be Rebirth or Caldera, if you aren’t running a sniper such as a Kar98k or Swiss you are at a huge disadvantage,” they said. “It’s extremely difficult to win a 1v1 if they have a sniper and you don’t because of how OP it is to be able to just one shot headshot. You don’t even have to be very precise it’s super forgiving. Before everyone says just run one yourself, I have and it’s extremely repetitive.” They argued that, not only can snipers one-hit enemies at any range with a headshot, but they also scope in incredibly quickly and have handling not reflective of their long-range profile. They finished: “I’m okay with snipers like the HDR and AX-50 because they are balanced with bad mobility but these marksman rifles need to be checked it’s ridiculous.” Sitting at over 100 upvotes, plenty of other players echoed the OP’s comments. Despite being initially popular in Warzone, traditional snipers like the HDR and AX-50 have dropped away because they are far slower and more cumbersome than marksman rifles. It’s up to Raven to make changes and, with the Kar98k and Swiss being so popular for so long, it seems to be an idea the player base is coming round to.

  • Warzone players demand sniper buffs as they’re “useless” after Season 4 update – Dexerto

Warzone players demand sniper buffs as they’re “useless” after Season 4 update ActivisionWarzone players are well and truly divided over the position of sniper rifles in Call of Duty’s battle royale, as Season 3 nerfs were exacerbated by Season 4 changes that, to many, made the long-range weapons even weaker. Sniper rifles were not in a contentious position in Warzone until Season 3 dropped. That update considerably nerfed some of the long-dominant snipers – namely the Kar98k and Swiss K31. They, along with other snipers, saw their one-shot ability curtailed to a major degree, paving the way for heavier and slower snipers like the HDR to rise in popularity. Many thought Season 4 would readjust the weapon class slightly and move towards the old meta but, when it released on June 22, there was nothing of note for sniper rifles, even though a host of ARs were buffed. The result is players feeling that snipers are being neglected even more, and many are now voicing their concerns. In a July 2 Reddit post, player ‘ibabyXD’ called for major buffs from Raven, attaching a video to show a number of problems with snipers. In it, snipers fail to knock enemies at a number of ranges, sometimes even failing to get through their armor. They also complained that sniper range being so heavily nerfed makes them akin to shotguns and emphasized that, for some snipers, it can take up to three shots to down a fully armored enemy. The OP commented: “Snipers are meant to shoot from a distance. They aren’t shotguns. That’s the literal definition of SNIPING. No they didn’t nerf “broken Snipers”, they nerfed ALL Snipers/Marksman even 1% unused ones… The Kar98k dominated loadouts since 2020 yet it still was less nerfed than some other snipers did.” Plenty of players echoed the sentiment and called for a prompt buff from Raven. “Making 90% of the sniper rifles in the game utterly useless is not great game design,” said one. Others, though, were less convinced. One player replied, arguing that the sniper nerf makes countering unseen enemies more balanced: “You can still one hit kill with a sniper, but it’s harder now. It’s not a bug that needs fixing. It’s the intentional design working exactly as it’s supposed to. You say this isn’t a solution to lowering instant death on Caldera… They literally made it harder to get an insta death on Caldera.” With players split, the ball is truly in Raven’s court as to how to progress with the fan-favorite weapon class.

  • Warzone players demand simple feature to combat hackers – Dexerto

Warzone players demand simple feature to combat hackers ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone has taken the battle royale genre by storm, but hackers have been plaguing Infinity Ward’s cross-platform title, so players have put out a call-to-arms to combat those pesky cheaters. Despite Warzone getting off to a hot start and going toe-to-toe with Apex Legends in terms of its player count, it’s not been completely smooth sailing. From the notorious gas mask animation glitch to self-revive being bugged since the March 26 update, Infinity Ward have had various issues to take care of in their novel take on a battle royale. However, perhaps the most enraging issue at the top of all Warzone players’ snag list, is the prominent threat of hackers. Cheaters have been plaguing Verdansk more and more, essentially becoming the talk of the town and ruining players’ experience in the mode. Yet at present, there is very little players can do to combat hackers, as they seemingly become more prevalent. This has led to multiple requests on the Warzone subreddit for Infinity Ward to add an in-game reporting feature. One fan even suggested that players should be ‘shadow banned’ (where players are prohibited from playing without knowing) from regular servers and pitted against one another. While another player proposed that cheaters should be hardware banned as an expensive consequence for continuing to ruin players’ experience. Because Warzone is free-to-play, it’s easy for hackers just to move from one account to the next, if they are banned. However, as of right now, there is no direct way to blow the whistle on a suspected cheater through a report system, meaning they are often getting away scot-free. While Infinity Ward continues to work on a plethora of minor issues in Warzone, there is becoming a more pressing need to abolish hackers from the game. Cheaters are considered the final boss of online gaming. And with Warzone being a free-to-play, cross-platform title, Verdansk is quite literally becoming a stomping ground for those looking to swindle their way to victory.

  • Warzone players demand “ridiculous” stims are nerfed after Aydan TikTok goes viral – Dexerto

Warzone players demand “ridiculous” stims are nerfed after Aydan TikTok goes viral ActivisionWarzone players have called for significant nerfs to the battle royale’s Stim Shots, after a TikTok of competitive player Aydan dying to a Stim-wielding opponent went viral. The plethora of Tactical Equipment available in Warzone has made the game incredibly customizable, but certain gear and gadgets have been problematic for developers since day one. Among them is the Stim Shot equipment, a health-boosting injection that players can use to heal quickly and keep them alive in the most fraught of scenarios. Glitches with the Stim Shot have been common, with players able to use them infinitely despite strict limits supposedly in place on their use. Now, Warzone players are calling for a nerf to the Stims after a TikTok of competitive player Aydan dying to an opponent using one went viral. In the clip, Aydan lights up an opponent with some accurate shots, only for the enemy to heal up mid-engagement and drop the former Fortnite star. Sharing the clip to Reddit, player ‘aur0n‘ said: “Can we please have stims nerfed? This is ridiculous.” Plenty quickly echoed the suggestions, arguing that the Stim Shots are overpowered and have been for some time. At the time of writing, the post has over 1,000 upvotes. One player responded to it asking: “How is something like this still in the game?” Another said: “Broken as f**k. Move at ridiculous speed and get healed while being shot at lmao.” As of the time of writing, there are no plans from Raven to adjust Stim Shots, but many casual and competitive players appear to side with calls for them to be weakened. Not only do they heal players up quickly, but can be used while sprinting and hip-firing. We’ll be the first to let you know if these wishes are granted and changes do come.

  • Warzone players demand RICOCHET changes with cheaters back in “every match” – Dexerto

Warzone players demand RICOCHET changes with cheaters back in “every match” ActivisionWarzone players have hit out at Activision and RICOCHET anti-cheat over the number of hackers in Warzone Pacific matches, with many saying there’s as many in Caldera as there were prior to Vanguard’s release. Warzone’s popularity and growth since its March 2020 release has been marred to some extent by the prominence of cheaters. Any Warzone player with a few matches under their belt will have undoubtedly encountered an enemy using wallhacks, aimbot or both. For those reasons, the announcement and implementation of RICOCHET anti-cheat back in December was universally welcomed. However, it has not been the resounding success many hoped and recent reports suggest cheating is just as prevalent as it was prior to the anti-cheat’s launch. One player – u/Htowng8r – said that the number of cheaters they’ve been encountering appeared to be back to their pre-Vanguard levels. They commented: “Rebirth is infested again almost every other match has one “rage” hackers (i.e. instant target switching kill everyone on the screen) and every match has someone else walling or aimlocking (not blatant crazy target switching). “It was this bad right before VG launched and Ricochet went live a month later. Now maybe a month after Ricochet it’s back to being insane — every match has someone cheating. Rebirth is just the easy example, but Caldera definitely has quite a few judging from streamers who run into them every single match.” Other posts echoed similar sentiments, with Redditor Character-Brief-2194 saying that half their matches had noticeable cheaters in them. They said: “I don’t want to hear the fanboys with the “just cause you lost a gunfight doesn’t mean they hack”. I had 3 games almost back to back with people with names like “youhackingbro” just dropping piles of kills …walls and aimbot…straight rage hacking. It’s getting pretty bad out there again.” Plenty of other Warzone fans commented to say they had similar experiences. Here’s hoping RICOCHET and Activision can get a grip on the situation moving forwards.

  • Warzone players demand return of old map but it’s not Verdansk or Rebirth – Dexerto

Warzone players demand return of old map but it’s not Verdansk or Rebirth ActivisionWarzone players are calling for the return of a classic yet highly praised map that only lasted in the game for four months before never being seen again. Sure, maps in Warzone and Modern Warfare II chop and change regularly, with each new game providing new maps and therefore having to remove certain locations. However, sometimes those removals are met with extreme frustration, with many questioning why certain classics weren’t brought back. This is entirely the case for one classic location that has now left players demanding its return, even going so far as to offer their “condolences” to the creators who worked so hard on a “map that only lasted 4 months.” Warzone 2 players call for the return of classic map Posting onto Reddit, one user shared an image of Fortune Keep, offering their “My condolences to the devs who put blood, sweat, and tears into this complex and detailed map that only lasted 4 months…” The post quickly garnered a considerable amount of support, with thousands of fans sharing their frustrations regarding this missing fan-favorite map and begging to see it appear in Warzone 2, or even for players to just be allowed to experience it one more time. One user reminisced on their time playing Fortune Keep, stating how it was “arguably the best map they’ve made since Warzone started.” While others demanded its return, explaining how “it’s a shame this one was available to play for only 4 months. They could easily upload this one on wz1 launcher.” They were not the only ones thinking this, with many wishing “they would just add it and RI to the resurgence map rotation”, further allowing players to enjoy this short-lived experience. Sure, it was chaotic, with action around every corner, but few players can deny how popular Fortune Keep really was in Warzone – and who knows, there’s always a chance we’ll see this popular location return once more.

  • Warzone players demand return of classic battle pass items and bundles – Dexerto

Warzone players demand return of classic battle pass items and bundles ActivisionWarzone players are calling on Activision and Raven to re-introduce old battle pass items and bundles to the game’s store, allowing players who missed out the first time round to acquire them. Warzone’s eclectic and diverse skins have attracted praise from its massive player base, with many fans enjoying the ability to run around Verdansk as Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Rambo’ or as Bruce Willis’ infamous Die Hard protagonist John McClane. However, a number of popular skins have come and gone, with little prospect of players who missed them being able to acquire them anytime soon. Naturally, there are calls for Warzone to implement a similar system to the one coming to Apex Legends in Season 11 – that will see old skins and bundles re-introduced to the store after some time. A number of Redditors highlighted skins they want to see return – including Modern Warfare operator Yegor and the infamous Roze skin. One Redditor pointed out the similar system Halo Infinite will bring, saying: “A lot of games do this, usually six months after they are done. Halo Infinite will have an infinite battle pass too. Plus you will be able to change progress on different battle passes.” Another added: “I really, really want them to for more seasons. I didn’t play didn’t the MW-era Warzone and am pissed I can’t get any of that stuff when I want so much of it. I really hope they do it for other seasons too.” However, others were hesitant to see such a system implemented, arguing it would negate the effort some players went to in order to unlock the skins in the first place. It’s a fair argument, with certain skins becoming sought-after because of their one-time-only availability. We’ll have to see how this one develops, but its implementation in rival titles means clamor for it will probably continue to grow.

  • Warzone players demand removal of “unfair” Juggernaut on Rebirth Island – Dexerto

Warzone players demand removal of “unfair” Juggernaut on Rebirth Island ActivisionThe Warzone Juggernaut suits have gained a lot of notoriety ever since their first introduction to Warzone, but the Season 2 Reloaded update has reintroduced them to the game. From weapon trading to various map changes, the Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded update has given Rebirth Island a new lease of life. While players are currently getting to grips with the new Armaguerra 43 SMG and grinding out challenges on the game’s smaller map, there is an old feature that is already angering the playerbase. Alongside these exciting additions, Raven Software has also reintroduced Juggernaut suits to Warzone. However, this time, these heavily armored killstreaks can be utilized on Rebirth Island. This has obviously led to a lot of frustration and anger within the Warzone community, with many players calling for their removal. Warzone Rebirth Island players call for Juggernaut suit removal Unlike Caldera, Rebirth is much smaller in scale. This means players often find themselves in close proximity to their enemies. In fact, firefights are a lot more intimate and battles are often won and lost in seconds. “They have lost complete touch with this community. Nobody asked for this,” said one commenter. “They’ve got to remove the Juggernaut from Rebirth. It Ruins the game because it is nearly impossible to kill in close quarters.” With the majority of engagements being fought in close to mid-range, players often have to rely on their quick reflexes to win each gunfight. However, this dynamic completely changes when Juggernaut suits appear on the battlefield. “Juggernaut was awful back when it was in Verdansk BR, the community hated it,” explained another player. “In Rebirth, it’s somehow even worse, since the map is so small. You can’t beam it from a distance and if you run away, you will hit another team.” While these lethal drops are very rare, many Warzone players believe they completely ruin the balance of Rebirth Island matches. Whether Raven will listen to the community and remove Juggernaut drops remains to be seen, but for now, these lethal killstreaks continue to prove problematic.

  • Warzone players demand removal of “terrible” Gulag weapons – Dexerto

Warzone players demand removal of “terrible” Gulag weapons ActivisionThe Gulag is one of Warzone’s mechanics that sets it apart from other BR titles. But, despite the unique experience it offers, players are demanding the removal of certain weapons that harm the competitive nature of this 1v1 arena. Call of Duty: Warzone has done plenty to separate itself from other competitors in the battle royale genre. The game’s Gulag experience — a showdown between two players for a chance to respawn after their first death — helps make Warzone a completely unique BR experience. While the Gulags in Verdansk and Rebirth Island (introduced in BOCW Season 1) have been praised for the unique twist they add to the flow of Warzone matches (and the ability to salvage a particularly good performance after an unlucky death), they have also faced their share of criticism. In feedback posted on Reddit, players criticized certain Gulag weapon rotations they feel “ruin the competitive immersion.” In the post on r/CODWarzone, user ‘u/JustAMicrowav1n’ shared frustrations with being forced to use certain weapons that negatively affect the outcome of these showdowns. The post began by pointing out some of the positive aspects of the Gulag’s various weapon choices. “Sure, it does shake things up a little bit, add a bit of freshness to it,” they admitted, but their outlook on the weapon options in the Gulag then shifted toward the negative. “Fists in the Gulag? throwing knives?” they asked. The player’s biggest criticism was the effect of these weapons on high-skill games. “When you are in one of those sweaty games . . . and you gotta win the Gulag . . . that is very frustrating to get these specific weapons.” They also pointed out technical issues with these weapons, and said “[Who wins] fist Gulags 90% of the time literally depends on your latency.” Connection issues are a common complaint in any FPS, and could affect the outcome of encounters involving these niche weapons. u/JustAMicrowav1n clarified “Don’t get me wrong, different Gulags are fun, but at least make that difference non bulls**t!” They ended the post by asking Activision to go back to the game’s previous weapon rotations: “Just revert it back to the old one with pistols, SMGs, ARs or LMGs.” The community seemed to largely agree with the post. One user replied “Totally agree about the fist gulags — they are totally stupid, not in any way fun and the inconsistency in those fights is ridiculous.” Another player voiced their frustration by saying that they would “rather deal with the campers.” While the Gulag weapon selections are updated regularly, it appears the community is so fed up with these particular options that they want them removed entirely. It remains to be seen whether these options will be permanently shelved, or simply rotated out and brought back again later.

  • Warzone players demand Raven nerf “stupid” Swiss K31 sniper rifle – Dexerto

Warzone players demand Raven nerf “stupid” Swiss K31 sniper rifle ActivisionWarzone players are calling on Raven to nerf the “stupid” Swiss K31 sniper rifle, with many claiming the Black Ops Cold War sniper rifle is far too strong and easy to use in CoD’s immensely popular battle royale. Snipers have long been an integral part of most player’s loadouts, offering a long-range weapon sure to rip through opponents’ armor and defenses. When the battle royale first dropped, Modern Warfare’s AX-50 and HDR were immensely popular. However, following Black Ops Cold War’s integration, two snipers have gone on to dominate the arena. They are the Kar98k (technically a marksman rifle) and Swiss K31, with both topping the list of most popular overall weapons in Warzone. While Vanguard’s addition to Warzone could yet shake up the meta in this regard, so too could the nerfs players are demanding for the weapons. A Reddit post from ‘DefunctHunk_‘ outlined the ease of use of the Swiss, with players being shot able to adjust their aim and hit opponents despite being shot. Minimal flinch and a fast ADS time are two of the reasons the gun is popular, but are also reasons why many consider it too easy to use and overpowered. “[The] Swiss K31 needs more flinch,” they said. “Look at how easily he is able to line up his shot.” Attached was a clip showing a player under heavy fire, but still able to drop their opponent thanks to minimal flinch kick. Others echoed the OP’s points, with one saying: “I agree 100%, there’s no reason they should be able to snipe you while getting hit. It’s pretty f**king stupid.” Another said: “Of course it needs more flinch. People here saying to hit your shots lmao. Not only are the Swiss & Kar the easiest snipers to use, but they’re also 2 of the easiest guns to use in the game period, which is why they’re the 2 most selected guns.” Whether Raven makes major adjustments to sniper flinch remains to be seen. It could well depend on the properties and popularity of Vanguard weapons in Warzone. If there are changes coming, we’ll be the first to let you know.

  • Warzone players demand nerfs to “unbelievably stupid” Krampus monster – Dexerto

Warzone players demand nerfs to “unbelievably stupid” Krampus monster ActivisionWarzone players are begging for the developers at Raven to nerf the “stupid” Krampus figure, that’s killing the game in regular matches. A controversial addition to Warzone in the Festive update came in the form of a mythological creature known as the Krampus. The Christmas monster that hunts down players isn’t exactly invincible, however, the firepower needed to take it down when you’re being chased is ruining the game for many. Since the release of the Krampus on December 16, an outcry in the Warzone community has begun as players band together pleading to the devs for a nerf to the “stupid” monster – at least in regular matches. Multiple Reddit threads pleading to Raven for the monster’s nerf since its release has done the rounds in the community. A thread from Warzone player leanlikeakickstand hit out at the devs for how unbelievably stupid the new addition is. “The Krampus is so unbelievably stupid. Your game is basically over if he starts hunting you,” said the infuriated player. They continued: “In an hour of playing, I’ve had this f**king thing hunting my team in four separate games! One of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen implemented in Warzone.“ Leanlikeakickstand’s complaint was shown a lot of support from others. However, some players were confused as to how people are finding it difficult to take down the Krampus. “He’s ridiculously easy to kill. Also, you can just keep running at well and he can’t really catch you,” said HyperNuclear. “I agree it’s incredibly stupid, but you should be able to easily deal with it. It has a lot of health but is very easy to fight,” said another player. With a large portion of the community demanding nerfs to Krampus, we should expect to see at least some changes made in the coming days before the devs close down for the holidays.

  • Warzone players demand nerfs to “toxic” Akimbo Double Barrel loadout – Dexerto

Warzone players demand nerfs to “toxic” Akimbo Double Barrel loadout Warzone players are demanding nerfs to the “broken” and “toxic” Akimbo Double Barrel that is currently decimating anything that stands in its way. Warzone’s meta is constantly changing with each and every update. Previously a weapon that many overlooked, Vanguard’s Double Barrel shotgun is now one of the most broken in the game. With the right attachments and the Akimbo Perk, the double-barrel is unmatched and is one-shotting anything that stands in its way. However, the community is riled up over the “broken” loadout and are demanding Raven make some nerfs. As always, complaints on Warzone’s subreddit about the broken Akimbo Double-Barrel have been all the talk recently. One player posted a clip of them being decimated by the overpowered loadout, which got the community talking. “There ain’t no way, you could barely see my head, they need to nerf this ASAP,” said the player, who didn’t even get a chance to react before being one-shot. What makes it even more infuriating is that fact that almost all of their character was covered by a wall, but the damage done to their protruding head was enough to eliminate them and send them to the Gulag. Players were generally in agreement that the devs need to handle the broken shotgun: “Yeah, this needs to be addressed for sure,” said Triple516. “Okay, this is extremely egregious,” said another player. Others had a totally different option in mind, suggesting that the devs remove the shotgun from the game entirely: “I don’t think they have to nerf this, I think they have to remove it from the game,” said Lookowood. “Not every weapon in every new CoD has to be in Warzone.” Regardless of whether the devs decide to remove the double-barrel or nerf it, players will be happy to see significant changes to the shotgun, that will hopefully come soon.

  • Warzone players demand nerfs for “insane silent aim lock” planes – Dexerto

Warzone players demand nerfs for “insane silent aim lock” planes ActivisionPlanes have been terrorizing the Warzone Pacific era, mowing down players left and right without missing a bullet. Now, fans are demanding a nerf for the vehicle as they feel it’s giving pilots an aimbot. The Warzone Pacific update brought World War II-themed vehicles to the battle royale. This included the likes of tanks, cargo trucks, and planes. These fighter planes have been extremely viable for getting high kills and if you were looking for a way to boost your K/D ratio then you’ve probably already spent a decent amount of time flying around the island. However, players are fed up with these aerial vehicles as the community feels that these are cheat codes and give people aim lock. Warzone players beg for “overpowered” plane nerfs One of the new mechanics added to Warzone included WWII vehicles, but one specifically, planes are allowing players to get cheap kills due to a busted feature. In a Reddit post by ‘Wicked_wx’ this person believes that Caldera would be instantly better if Raven Software just removed planes from the game. These flying machines have been terrorizing the island of Caldera for quite some time. They have a decent amount of health and unlimited bullets but the biggest problem comes with its aim. One Redditor said they want to see a major change come to these. “Keep the planes but ditch the insane silent aim style lock-on mechanic they somehow thought was a good idea.” The community is annoyed by the “aimbot” that planes have because they think it makes it nearly impossible to get to cover fast enough before being mowed down from the skies. Another issue caused by this is the length of games. Players are reporting that matches are stalling out because people are dying to planes on all sides of the map within the first two minutes. This leaves most of the large map empty and players are running around for 10 minutes looking for an enemy. They think a nerf would help eliminate the priority that planes have in Warzone and help create a larger skill gap.

  • Warzone players demand nerfs as overpowered pistol takes over – Dexerto

Warzone players demand nerfs as overpowered pistol takes over ActivisionThe Renetti pistol is running riot in Warzone right now, across both Urzikstan and Rebirth Island, and players are demanding nerfs to finally put an end to the onslaught. In an update that flew under the radar to most players — but not to all, as we covered this devastatingly powerful build shortly after the update — the Renetti three-round burst pistol received a huge buff that made its JAK Conversion Kit turn it into a full-auto beast. Add a larger mag and a scope to the pistol and just like that, you’ve got a gun that outclasses most submachine guns in the game, melting opponents like they’re nothing. Since the Season 3 update, though, players have quickly started to cotton on to just how powerful the gun is and are removing the regular SMGs from their class so they can use the Renetti instead — but many players are saying that enough is enough. Players have taken to social media to complain about the gun, with one user claiming that “Warzone is a hot mess” because of the gun picking up so much steam. Others called it “extremely overpowered” and said that they have no choice but to use the gun on their loadouts because they’re at such an extreme disadvantage if they don’t. If you’ve been playing the game much at all since the Season 3 update, especially on Rebirth, you will have noticed a big uptick in players using the Renetti with the Conversion Kit, but whether the gun is actually nerfed before things get out of hand remains to be seen. If it is nerfed, as is certainly likely at some point, you’ll want to make sure you’re ready to compete again with a strong SMG build to replace it. For that, check out our best SMG loadouts for Warzone Season 3 here.

  • Warzone players demand more crazy LTMs following “amazing” Totally Normal mode – Dexerto

Warzone players demand more crazy LTMs following “amazing” Totally Normal mode ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are calling on devs at Raven to add more crazy limited-time modes (LTMs) following the “amazing” Totally Normal mode that dropped for April Fools Day. Part of the formula for battle royales since Fortnite’s 2017 explosion in popularity has been the regular inclusion of LTMs, often shaking up core aspects of the respective BR’s gameplay. The aforementioned Fortnite recently added a ‘No Building’ mode permanently, and April Fools’ Day saw Raven do something similarly seismic with Warzone. The Totally Normal mode dropped on April 1, shaking up a host of Warzone’s well establish mechanics. Major changes included the fact that players couldn’t call in loadout drops or pull parachutes after jumping out of the starting deploy plane, but plenty more were discoverable in matches. While it was only introduced for April 1, some players have called for it – and other crazy LTMs – to become permanent off the back of it. Redditor ‘sinanisiklar‘ was among those to vocalize their like for the mode, saying: “The April Fools mode is amazing. The mode is really fun. Having your loadout from the start, constantly getting revived. And no, it’s not the same as multiplayer. I wish this could stay as a permanent mode.” Plenty of players echoed the OP’s sentiment, with the post sitting at nearly 300 upvotes at the time of writing. One fan suggested that Raven need to add more LTMs that are as crazy as the Totally Normal mode, saying: “We don’t get enough off the wall LTM’s. BR party modes are a lot of fun”. There were some players criticizing the mode, saying that it got old fast. However, with the demands for crazy mode to be in separate LTM playlists, it shouldn’t bother players who want the traditional Warzone or BR experience. Here’s hoping Raven are listening and have more bizarre twists up their sleeves.

  • Warzone players are demanding more 80s crossovers after Die Hard, Rambo success – Dexerto

Warzone players are demanding more 80s crossovers after Die Hard, Rambo success ActivisionWarzone players are demanding more 80’s themed crossovers in the Call of Duty battle royale after the success of the first Action Heroes bundle featuring Rambo and John McClane. Over the first 15 months since Warzone’s release, Activision has been rather cautious when it comes to new crossovers. The Haunting of Verdansk event brought horror icons to the game and more recently, Warzone Season 3 paved the way for 80’s action heroes to drop in. Beyond those two events, however, new Operators have been mostly limited to characters exclusive to the CoD series. Though with the success of these bundles, players are eager for more crossovers than ever before. With Verdansk ‘84 now in full swing, the possibilities are wide open for some classic throwbacks. From popular cinematic legends to heroes from other video games, the community has put forward some strong suggestions. We’ve only seen collaborations with film franchises to date. Saw, Rambo, and Die Hard to name a few. But what if Warzone’s trip back to the 1980s allowed for video game crossovers as well? That’s exactly what Reddit user ‘ElectroLuminescence’ wants to see. Rather than bringing in a war hero, this idea drops Grand Theft Auto’s Vice City gangster Tommy Vercetti into the mix. Obviously, the popular figure would need a graphical tune-up considering we haven’t seen him since 2002. With the right attention to detail though, he could be a natural fit for Verdansk ‘84. For another idea, Reddit user ‘Brunz514’ wants to drop their money on a Scarface bundle. Tony Montana is undeniably one of the most popular characters from the 80’s, seeing him in Warzone would make perfect sense. Read More: 6 most underrated weapons in Warzone – He might not have military-level training, but we all know the ruthless figure has some sharp aim; a perfect fit for the CoD battle royale. Plenty of players backed this idea and offered up some of their own suggestions as well. From the rumored Terminator skin to a potential RoboCop set, the possibilities are endless. We do know for certain that Activision has plans for more 80’s crossovers in Warzone. It’s only a matter of time until we see what’s next, and who knows, maybe some of these awesome ideas will come to fruition.

  • Warzone players demand melee nerf as punches are stronger than guns – Dexerto

Warzone players demand melee nerf as punches are stronger than guns ActivisionSome Call of Duty Warzone players are desperate for the developers to make to the power of melee strikes after some interesting clips have surfaced. Even though plenty of Call of Duty fans have flocked to Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer modes, plenty of others are still dropping into Verdansk and trying to pick up wins in Warzone before their move to Cold War happens. While there is a lull in new Warzone content, given that Season 1 in Cold War won’t start until December 16, players are still running into issues – be it with unusual bugs, perceived balancing problems, and hackers. Plenty of the nagging glitches and weapon balancing issues should be ironed out once Warzone switches over to Cold War, though, some players are hoping that melee strikes also get a bit of a nerf as they’ve become incredibly powerful. Reddit user MichielbutsayMichael showcased a clip from one of their recent trips into Verdansk where, during the early part of the game, it seemed like they were destined to pick up a pretty easy kill. The Redditor chased an enemy, who only had a pistol, into a house with a KILO in-hand, ready to blast them away when they had a shot lined up. Though, when they finally did start spraying into their opponent, the tables were immediately flipped. With two pistol whips, MichielbutsayMichael was left heading to the Gulag even though they’d managed to put nearly a full magazine into their enemy’s chest. What made it even more annoying was that, upon watching the replay, it was clear that the enemy was barely still standing. Plenty of players chimed in, voicing their own frustrations about the powerful melee strikes. “Not to mention Khali sticks randomly one hitting even though [you] have full armor and health. Melee is stupid,” said HungLikeALemur. “The lunge is ridiculous in this game, it’s like a f**king Halo energy sword lunge at this point,” added Eviscerate-You. Another player, core433, suggested that the devs could, in a coming patch, make a change where for every bullet you are hit with, your melee power goes down. So, you’d still be strong in early game fights, but suffer if you tried after a few ticks of damage. Ultimately, a change like that is something for the devs to consider, and they’ll have plenty of buffs and nerfs in-store for Season 1. For now, though, players will just have to do their best to avoid taking melee strikes in-game because it’s like being hit by a prime Mike Tyson.

  • Warzone players demand massive buff to forgotten tactical grenade – Dexerto

Warzone players demand massive buff to forgotten tactical grenade ActivisionWarzone players usually don’t think twice about their lethal and tactical grenade selections. However, one Warzone player suggested a clever change for smoke grenades. Tactical and Lethal equipment lacks the selection diversity seen in other classes. According to WZranked, players select heartbeat sensors 42% of the time, and stims have a 25% selection rate. Warzone players only use smoke grenades in just over one percent of matches. In other FPS titles, such as CS:GO, or Valorant, smoke grenades and utilizing equipment play a crucial role. However, smoke grenades have never been included in the Warzone meta. One Warzone player suggested a simple fix to make the tactical grenade more enticing. Warzone players demand smoke grenade buff Smoke grenades can be an excellent tool for players trying to reposition or change an engagement angle. However, Reddit user candidbehavior claimed that combat scout and its short duration time are holding the tactical grenade back. Combat scout is a perk that briefly gives away a player’s position when shot. It renders smoke grenades useless because enemies can see through the smoke. The Warzone player suggested, “when a player is inside the smoke, hitmarkers should not apply to them when they get shot at.” No hitmarkers registering would provide a counter to combat scout and increase the viability of thermal scopes. One user liked their idea and stated, “this is actually smart. They should be buffed to add variety in the game, especially in lethals/tacticals and perks.” A second player responded, “that idea makes quite a bit of sense.” Warzone 2 wipes the slate clean for all progression and is “built from the ground up,” so players may not have to wait long for the smoke grenade rework they have been waiting for.

  • Warzone players demand map changes to “confusing” Caldera in Season 2 – Dexerto

Warzone players demand map changes to “confusing” Caldera in Season 2 ActivisionWarzone players are calling for major changes to the battle royale’s main map, Caldera, with the Pacific environment being branded “confused” and “cheap” in Season 2 Reloaded. Caldera has been the main battle royale map in Warzone since December of 2021, when Warzone Pacific dropped and saw the suburban Verdansk swapped out for a Pacific Island drenched in sunlight and slaughter. Feedback since then has been mixed, with many vocalizing their affection for Verdansk and lamenting an alternative to Caldera for the maximal 100 person battle royale. Rebirth Island is an option, but offers a much smaller, close-quarters experience. Now, one disgruntled player has laid out all their issues with Caldera in a scathing Reddit post, branding the map “cheap” and “confused”. They explained their problems in-depth, outlining the “quality” of the map as an issue and saying that it feels poorly thought out and, in some cases, even poorly developed. “I hate how instead of just putting 5 houses together, it’s 5 houses 100m apart,” they said. “I don’t want to spend 5 minutes running house to house just to find the worst loot ever… It feels cheap. There are house markers where there aren’t houses. Me and my friend were running about looking for loot, see a house on map, run over, it’s a rock, a literal rock.” Unsurprisingly, the Redditor’s post also targeted the prevalence of bugs and glitches in Caldera, which continues to be a major talking point in Season 2. They finished: “The overall vibe of the map just feels confused too. Aesthetically we have jungles, Nazi bases, Japanese Bases, then a picturesque capital, and small little hamlets everywhere. It feels like they didn’t really know what they wanted to do with this map… it just feels jumbled and confused.” Plenty of other Warzone players echoed their comments, suggesting whole-scale changes as a solution. Others pointed to a multiplayer-style map rotation system which would see Verdansk reintroduced. If you really hate Caldera you can either play Rebirth Island or just cast your mind forwards to Warzone 2, which should be coming late in 2022.

  • Warzone players demand major movement change similar to Verdansk – Dexerto

Warzone players demand major movement change similar to Verdansk ActivisionWarzone players want to see Tac Sprint change to unlimited, as the community believes the feature holds no purpose in the battle royale mode. Warzone arrived in 2020, months after Modern Warfare 2019 flipped the Call of Duty franchise upside down with a shift to realism. One of those shifts was the introduction of Tac Sprint, a new movement mechanic that hugely improved player speeds, making the slower pace of Warzone a little more manageable. The problem with Tac Sprint is that it’s tied to a cooldown, and the standard sprint speeds were frustratingly slow. To combat this change of pace, Verdansk players found out that the notorious slide-canceling movement technique granted infinite Tac Sprint. Slide canceling was removed in MW2 and Warzone 2 because it was deemed game-breaking. MW3 saw the feature return, although it wouldn’t cycle Tac Sprint speeds, making players feel it lost its use in Warzone. With tactical sprint in limbo, CoD creator ModernWarzone raised the question of whether or not the developers should change Tac Sprint to improve its usefulness by making it unlimited. Unsurprisingly, 65% of ModernWarzone’s following replied “Yes,” although a decent chunk replied “No.” It’s important to note players actually got a chance to experience this design choice via the High Trip Warzone event. Gummies would drop which gave players various power-ups with unlimited Tac Sprint one of those benefits. Tac Sprint feels like a remnant of the past, as CoD’s push towards realism split the player base apart. Many of the replies that voted for unlimited Tac Sprint echoed those sentiments, while also mentioning the irony of CoD moving back to what’s worked in older releases. “Love how we’ve gone back to what worked from the start for CoD, which is one sprint only…” well-known leaker TheGhostofHope replied. Others lobbied for its complete removal, while the percentage of players who voted “No” remained relatively silent on why they think it should stay as is. Sledgehammer Games has experimented with MW3 via “Experimental Playlists” that alter portions of the game per player feedback. It’s possible future seasons of Warzone may see this shift if fan fervor reaches high enough heights.

  • Warzone players demand major change to fix “boring” battle royale – Dexerto

Warzone players demand major change to fix “boring” battle royale ActivisionWarzone players have called for a major change to battle royale on Al Mazrah, deeming the current gameplay “boring” and demanding a revert to a key change made in the game. Warzone as it is currently is beginning to reach the end of its lifespan. Al Mazrah was introduced as the key map in what was then known as Warzone 2, which dropped alongside Modern Warfare 2 at the tail end of 2022. Since then, the game struggled to live up to the high bar set by the previous iteration of the Call of Duty battle royale and the iconic Verdansk map. They’ve since made movement changes to try and appease the players who miss the movement era of Warzone on the old Modern Warfare 2019 engine, but now players are calling for another change to be reverted. Warzone players want player count change Taking to Reddit, Warzone player tearsofthekingodm has demanded the player count in Al Mazrah battle royale be increased, bringing it back up to 150 instead of 100, and many others are in agreement. They said: “Before the change, I used to bump into someone in a random location 70-80% of the time, now I’m just running with no one in sight for minutes. The faster circles aren’t helping. The redeploy tokens and gulag kits are scarce. Please. This isn’t working. Revert it back to 150 players.” One player said that the “Map is way too big for only 100,” while others said it would even be too big for 150. Others said that it was a huge issue for servers, and that the game “can’t even manage 100 players without constant stuttering.” Whether devs Raven Software choose to increase the player count, or if they instead wait for the Modern Warfare 3 integration to make any significant changes (if at all) remains to be seen.

  • Warzone players demand major change for “unplayable” game in MW3 update – Dexerto

Warzone players demand major change for “unplayable” game in MW3 update ActivisionWarzone players have demanded a simple but major change to the game in the Modern Warfare 3 update, calling the current game “unplayable” and hoping for fixes in the new title. Warzone 2 hasn’t exactly lit up the world like the first Warzone title did when it launched in 2020, though the original game’s servers are set to be shut down permanently in September. With the arrival of Modern Warfare 3 in November, which many fans have become increasingly optimistic about as more gets revealed, Warzone will be due an update and some changes, too. It’s unclear at the time of writing what exactly could change in the Call of Duty battle royale, but fans have started to demand one key change, and it’s not even an in-game feature. Warzone players want MW3 update to include QOL changes Above anything else, one thing players have demanded consistently from the Modern Warfare 3 Warzone update, which leaks indicate will take place in December, is to improve the actual playability of the game with key quality-of-life updates. “Forget about all the mechanics and stuff people want back/new to the game,” explained Warzone player KillerBullet. “I just want the game to run smoothly. Not constant micro lags and stutters. It’s ‘unplayable’ and it tilts me so hard.” This sentiment was echoed in the comments, and has been a common complaint ever since Warzone 2 launched, particularly for PC players. “Highly doubt there will be any server upgrades for the new game. It’ll be the same nonsense we have now,” said one comment, clearly having very low expectations for the next iteration of the game. Another was similarly pessimistic, saying: “If anything the MWIII integration will make the game run worse.” Across social media for some time now, players have complained frequently about the game stuttering, FPS drops and general lag, despite being on high-end software with no internet issues. No matter what the devs do with each update, the issues seem to persist — but many are hoping that it will be different when Modern Warfare 3 drops and introduces its own spin on Warzone battle royale.

  • Warzone players demand Kar98k nerf as “low-skill” sniper still dominates in Season 6 – Dexerto

Warzone players demand Kar98k nerf as “low-skill” sniper still dominates in Season 6 ActivisionWarzone has been dominated by many different weapons but one has been prominent in every update. In Season 6, the Kar98k is once again the most popular weapon and players are demanding a nerf for this over-tuned sniper. There has been a great debate over which sniper is the best when it comes to Warzone. The Kar always seems to come out on top of that discussion. The sniper has incredible range along with high damage, making it really good in Rebirth Island along with normal BR modes. Although it has been an extremely popular weapon, Warzone players want it changed as they feel it is overpowered and unfair to use. Warzone players call for nerf to Kar98k amid Season 6 popularity After spending most of Season 5 as the second most picked weapon in Warzone, the Kar98k has taken its throne back at the top according to WZRanked. While this sniper continues to dominate the game as the best one in the class, players once again are rallying for a change to come to this beloved gun. A Reddit post by ‘DefunctHunk_COD’ brings up another clip showing off its low flinch. In this clip, you can see that the Kar has zero flinch while getting shot at. This is leading people to call the weapon “low-skill” and “broken” as it is really forgiving to use. Another person argued that flinch is broken on all weapons and said, “I think flinch should be equal for every gun regardless or attachments.” Even though this seems unlikely to happen, Warzone players seem to like that idea. The community has been rallying for months now, as the Kar can be one of the noob-friendliest weapons in all of Warzone. Despite the effort, it doesn’t seem Raven Software will make a change but players are still hopeful.

  • Warzone players demand hit reg fix as problems return in February 5 update – Dexerto

Warzone players demand hit reg fix as problems return in February 5 update ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players are hoping for a few fixes after the February 5th patch brought back issues with hit registration, among other things. The February 5th update for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone was a welcome one for many players, as it brought the return of Express, a Zombies map, and changes to Warzone. In particular, Warzone’s incredibly frustrating stim glitch was addressed and the Cold War weapons had the timing of ammo replenishment during empty reloads tweaked. Though, upon fixing some problems, it appears as if Raven Software has created a few others. Players have reported issues with not being able to change operator, repeated game crashes, and hit registration – with the latter being incredibly frustrating once again. Hit registration was a big issue in the early days of Warzone, but it had seemingly gone away until the February 4th patch. Read More: Best M16 Warzone loadouts – A whole host of players have complained about the issue cropping up again in some of their first matches on the new patch. “I was playing today and it was completely fine, but after the patch, I’m getting so many phantom bullets, no/delayed hitmarkers, and really weird aim assist,” posted Redditor Pollock04. Another, MoJozzZ, added: “Well since the recent update there are no hitmarkers when you hit people, which actually really tilts me. Sort the game out, fix things instead of releasing an 11GB patch to fix hardly anything. Get your stuff together and fix the game.” Others chimed in, confirming that the issue is back. “Same here! Came here to check out if I was the only one. Not only that but my reticle keeps disappearing randomly,” said one.” It looks like the hitmarker icon is loading in when you’re shooting,” added another. As of writing, the issue hasn’t made its way onto the Warzone Trello board of problems that are being looked into, but if its even more widespread, and more players complain, a fix will have to be found.

  • Warzone players demand fixes as “crazy” crashing and freezing problems continue – Dexerto

Warzone players demand fixes as “crazy” crashing and freezing problems continue Activision / SonyCall of Duty players are calling on Raven Software to implement major changes to stop Warzone Pacific matches crashing and freezing mid-game, as the problems continue a month after Caldera’s launch. Despite the anticipation that surrounded Caldera and Warzone Pacific more generally, the update has thrown players into a world of bugs and glitches. We’ve seen the infamous demon gun glitch make an unwelcome comeback, as well as weapon invisibility issues in the Gulag. The problems have been so significant that a number of the game’s most prominent content creators have hit out at Raven. While Dr Disrespect has claimed they should ditch Caldera completely, pro player Aydan has suggested he will move to another title altogether if the problems are not solved promptly. One of the most major issues has been bizarre mid-game crashes, especially prevalent on consoles. PC players, though, have also been commenting that they have had the issues. A January 7 Reddit post from madfortune joked that “It’s so much fun to play on console right now!” Attached was a video showing the player approaching a Buy Station, only for the game to freeze completely. Upon unfreezing, the player has already been eliminated by a nearby enemy. The freezing, players said, either causes their game to crash or forces them to restart it completely. Needless to say, it leads to countless deaths and inconveniences for affected players, with one ‘fix’ constituting the restarting of Warzone at the end of every single match. That’s not so much a fix as a long-winded and annoying workaround. The crashing and freezing issues have been prevalent ever since Warzone launched but, a month on, have still not been comprehensively fixed by Raven. They are mainly thought to affect players on console but a number of PC players replied to say they have been affected as well. Some players also suggested they are becoming more frequent, with one writing: “I can barely get through a game of quads without myself or a teammate getting disconnected mid-match.” Another described them as “crazy” and called on the game’s devs to fix them ASAP. We can all get behind that sentiment.

  • Warzone players demand fan-favorite Caldera mode be made permanent – Dexerto

Warzone players demand fan-favorite Caldera mode be made permanent ActivisionWarzone players are demanding Raven Software make the fan-favorite Caldera Clash mode permanent. Introduced during Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 2, Caldera Clash is a new game mode where players drop into a deathmatch-style LTM to try and rack up the most kills. It takes on elements from the classic battle royale and adds features from another mode, Plunder, while tying it all up with a 50v50 to create an experience the community can’t get enough of. Now, Warzone fans are demanding Raven Software make the mode a permanent one. Warzone players demand Caldera Clash mode be made permanent Like other modes in Warzone, Caldera Clash is only available for a limited time. This means that players won’t be able to enjoy it forever. With that in mind, one Warzone player by the name of YeetSauce87 took to the official Call of Duty Warzone subreddit pleading for its permanency, calling it “insane amounts of fun.” “Can we keep Caldera Clash permanently?” the Reddit user asked. “It is insane amounts of fun and non-stop action. Plz!!” His suggestion were echoed all across the Reddit post, with many other players wanting the same. “Clash, plunder, and rebirth solos need to be permanent!” said one. “The only modes I enjoy! No more vanguard bs modes.” Another added “I’m just glad so many people are jumping on this bandwagon. Clash (and before that, Rumble) have always been my favorite game modes.” Since game modes in Warzone come and go, getting the fully enjoy them becomes difficult. Only time will tell if Raven Software will decide to change that.

  • Warzone players demand devs take action as “blatant” cheaters surge in Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone players demand devs take action as “blatant” cheaters surge in Season 3 ActivisionWarzone players are demanding that the Raven Software devs take more action to prevent hackers amid a surge of cheating across Caldera in Season 3. Since Warzone’s release in March 2020, the game has been plagued by cheaters that have subsequently ruined the game for many players. However, alongside the battle royale’s integration with 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard, the developers released their anti-cheat Ricochet. While the brand new top-of-the-line anti-cheat was successful in removing an abundant amount of cheaters, issues have now arisen in Caldera Season 3 – leading to players urging the developers to take further action than the ban waves that they’ve already sent out. In a May 6 Reddit thread, a Warzone fan shared a short 10-second video of them being gunned down by a blatant aimbot cheater while dropping into Rebirth Island. “How long does it take to get one of these morons booted,” questioned the player, adding that they reported the cheater the entire game, but they weren’t banned. “We were reporting him the entire game,” they said. Another player in the replies added that it’s already taken longer than it should’ve for the cheater to be banned by the Ricochet anti-cheat, pointing out that they’re a decently high level in-game: “Longer than it should. Note that he’s level 50.” “Sad part is a lot of people think that the only cheaters are this blatant,” said another. “I really wish Ricochet would do something more. Especially people using walls or ESP.” The ongoing cheating problem, which has been persistent since the game’s launch, doesn’t have players’ hopes up for the future of the battle royale, and for Warzone 2. “And people think Warzone 2 will be any different… naive,” one wrote. We can only hope the developers continue to make improvements to the anti-cheat, which will hopefully end the cheating epidemic once and for all.

  • Warzone players demand devs stop removing Rebirth Island in playlist updates – Dexerto

Warzone players demand devs stop removing Rebirth Island in playlist updates ActivisionWarzone players have been left frustrated over developers Raven Software’s decision to keep removing Rebirth Island in Season 5’s daily playlist updates. For the launch of Season 5, Raven decided to introduce daily playlist updates, as opposed to the usual weekly changes that see different modes come in. Much to the dismay of many Warzone players, though, this means that Rebirth Island is sometimes removed from the playlist options, replaced by LTMs or a wider selection on Caldera, for example. The issue is, Rebirth Island became insanely popular after the launch of Warzone Pacific and the Vanguard integration — and taking it away is leaving some players very annoyed. Despite the immense popularity of the other small map Fortune’s Keep when it launched, Rebirth was still a fan favorite, and many stuck by it after Fortune’s Keep was released despite how many switched. With the frequent playlist updates, players have taken to social media complaining about the fact that Rebirth keeps getting removed, wanting it to be made permanent. Hoodville took to Twitter to say that Warzone is “ass” without Rebirth Island. iTzHoLT said similar, claiming that Rebirth Island is “the only map keeping their game alive” and that it is “the definition of incompetence” to remove it. Others, like George_Marsh, begged for Raven to stop removing Rebirth in the playlist updates. “Literally half the playerbase don’t want to play Caldera or FK, they’re both trash,” they said. “PLEASE stop removing rebirth and adding and changing things in the game literally no one asked for.” With the current season being the last in Warzone, before Warzone 2 drops on November 16, it’s unclear whether Raven will decide to completely change their plans for the rest of the season. Needless to say, though, there is a huge legion of dedicated Rebirth Island players hoping that Raven will revert their decision and keep the map in permanently for the coming months.

  • Warzone players demand devs fix “game-breaking” Gas Mask issue – Dexerto

Warzone players demand devs fix “game-breaking” Gas Mask issue ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have demanded changes to the “game-breaking” Gas Mask animation, as some feel it’s a hindrance in gunfights. One of the elements that separates Call of Duty Warzone from other battle royales is how it handles ‘ring’ or ‘storm’ damage. In Warzone, players can find and equip Gas Masks to help mitigate the encroaching toxic gas meant to weed out and push players together. Some players find the item less helpful than intended, leading fans to demand the development team fix the current “game-breaking” issues with Gas Masks. Warzone players demand Gas Mask animation fix A post on the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit caused some discussion after one fan posted a video clip of what they called a “game-breaking” issue with Gas Masks. The video shows the player trying to find cover after encountering an opponent. As the closest cover was in the toxic gas, the player runs into the gas behind a wall to get the drop on their opponent. Unfortunately, the Gas Mask animation begins right as they leap out of cover, rendering them a sitting duck as the enemy to quickly eliminates them from the game. The post caused a bit of heated discourse among players, with some simply blaming the player for making a bad play. “Why didn’t you stay out of sight when you hit the gas? You had a mask, you had no reason to challenge that dude,” said ATX_native. Other players agreed with the original post and suggested ways for the dev team to fix this common issue. “It should be a toggle. If I could toggle it on and off that would be ideal for saving it depending on the circumstance,” said one user. Early reports for Warzone Season 5 even speculate that Raven Software may add the ability to toggle Gas Masks on or off to avoid frustrating situations like this one. Though the Gas Mask’s animation may be annoying to deal with, it seems Warzone players may not have to put up with it for too much longer.

  • Warzone players demand devs finally fix major mantling problem – Dexerto

Warzone players demand devs finally fix major mantling problem ActivisionWarzone’s movement is a huge part of the game so when it doesn’t work as intended players are quick to notice. In the case of this mantling problem, the CoD community has been asking for a fix for a long time as frustrations continue to rise. There have been a ton of different quality of life updates in Warzone in 2022. From fixing a long-time slide canceling bug to altering Gas Mask animations, the devs have taken aim at a number of problems that were previously plaguing the game. While many agree that these changes have been great for the game, there are still a few big problems lingering and this auto-mantling bug is chief among them. Warzone players are desperate for major mantling update There are two different kinds of auto-mantling in Warzone. First, there is the airborne version, which allows players to grab onto edges without pressing a button and already has an in-game setting that players can flip on and off. Then there is the unavoidable ‘auto-mantle from ground’ variety that tends to interrupt gunfights and just generally be a nuisance to agile players. While this feature is intended to make movement easier, it often activates when players aren’t even looking in the same direction as the object that prompts them to climb. After running into this exact situation in-game, one user took to Reddit to vent their frustrations, and the rest of the community has chimed in as well One commenter noted how impactful this interruption can be, claiming that they’ve died to it over 50 times: “If it didn’t give me an advantage in a gunfight I wouldn’t ever do it, but it does so here I am, auto-mantling to my death.” Another user pointed out that the player is usually given an a notice when this is going to happen, but they also agreed that it’s not enough to fix the problem all around: “The indicator was there which is why you climbed, but yes, I think that it is incredibly stupid that you can mantle while aiming the other direction and firing.” There’s no sign of Raven turning its eyes towards this issue right now, but if the studio decides to in the future, then you’ll see it pop up on the Trello board where they keep the community updated on the latest fixes and updates.

  • Warzone players demand cross-play changes as hackers make it “unplayable” – Dexerto

Warzone players demand cross-play changes as hackers make it “unplayable” ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players want Activision to make some major changes to the way cross-play currently works following the increasing number of hackers being found in matches. Just like many other multiplayer games released in the last few years, Call of Duty has embraced cross-platform play between the different consoles and PC. However, Warzone does things a little differently than its rivals. On PlayStation, players are able to opt-out of cross-play matches, whereas Xbox users aren’t able to do so. With cheaters continuing to ruin the battle royale, players want things to change and want to be cut away from their PC counterparts in the hopes of saving the console side of things. Numerous calls have come from players on both sides of the console war, demanding that Activision and Raven Software make changes sooner rather than later, including giving console players the option to join cross-play matches against other, cutting out the PC crossover. “Save the console community and enable console-only cross-play as a temporary fix,” said Redditor Sec0nd. “Apparently getting an anti-cheat is hard, so at least enable some sort of console-only cross-play. As just a temporary solution. The game is literally unplayable at the moment.”

  • Warzone players demand counter for “annoying” Vanguard fire ammunition – Dexerto

Warzone players demand counter for “annoying” Vanguard fire ammunition ActivisionWarzone players have shared another major grievance with the game’s current state, this time relating to the incredibly frustrating incendiary rounds that are causing just as much chaos in Caldera as they were in Vanguard. Since Caldera replaced Verdansk back in December of 2021, Warzone players have been disappointed by the state of the Call of Duty battle royale. Concerns have been raised over RICOCHET with the cheating situation still severe, while frustrations are also being poured out at bugs and glitches that, for many, are ruining matches. Now, though, players are targeting an intentional change on Raven’s behalf – the addition of Vanguard’s incendiary ammunition into Warzone. Vanguard players have long been critical of the fire ammunition and incendiary grenades, particularly on Shipment, but Warzone players are now joining the calls to see it removed or, at least, nerfed significantly. One player called out Raven for adding it to the game, describing it as “annoying as f**k”. “I came back to Warzone after several months,” they explained. “It looks like there is new fire ammunition for like every weapon? And EVERYONE is using it. EVERYONE. It makes me want to abandon warzone again because it is so annoying.” Plenty of other players echoed the comments, with one demanding a “hard counter” against the fire ammunition. “Incendiary rounds on the Vanguard guns are OP right now,” they said. “I am using them for the simple reason that I will get kills that I don’t deserve, like after getting downed, my fire rounds will kill them. EOD (or some other perk) should counter fire rounds and reduce their damage and prevent plating from being interrupted by the damage over time.” Changes to incendiary rounds do seem a possibility but, for now, players will have to accept the damage they can do.

  • Warzone players demand changes to “unusable” ground loot for Season 6 – Dexerto

Warzone players demand changes to “unusable” ground loot for Season 6 ActivisionWarzone Season 6 is right around the corner and players are clamoring for major changes to the ground loot weapons available in Verdansk. Ground loot weapons always feel like a lottery in Warzone. Sometimes you’ll pick up a single-fire Tec 9 and get caught out trying to spray, while other times you’ll find a decked-out MG82 ready to mow down anyone who crosses your path. With Season 6 expected to be the last of the Black Ops Cold War integration, and Vanguard just around the corner, players are anticipating this season to round things out with a bang. For many, that means a more refined selection in ground loot, with the options in Season 5 being referred to as “unusable.” In the Season 5 ground loot, there are plenty of options across all ranges, including guns that are considered meta such as the MG82 and Stoner 63, but they can be very few and far between. In a Reddit post, LegionOfGrixis begged the Warzone devs to “make Season 6 ground loot actually useable.” They said: “The ground loot in season 5 went from horrible to slightly less horrible but still overall trash. I don’t know if you had some random intern do it but believe me it was terrible.” They go on to offer some advice on what to include in ground loot, too. They call for SMG mags to be maxed out or at least upped slightly, reduce sniper spawn rates, and avoid thermal sights, among other things. This isn’t the first time Warzone players have hit out at the game over poor ground loot weapons. There was serious frustration with the options available in Season 3, too, but not quite as bad as there is in Season 5. A new season means brand new ground loot weapons, so it will be interesting to see how developers Raven change things up for Cold War’s last outing in Verdansk.

  • Warzone players demand changes to “trash” Gulag audio after Season 5 update – Dexerto

Warzone players demand changes to “trash” Gulag audio after Season 5 update ActivisionWarzone players are criticizing Gulag audio following the Season 5 update, claiming Raven need to make major adjustments to improve the “trash” sound system. Whilst certainly secondary to complaints over cheating, audio has become a fairly significant topic in the Warzone community. There are ways to mitigate problematic audio but, in general, Caldera’s sound system has come in for fairly sustained criticism from players. However, plenty of players are claiming that it has become worse in Season 5, especially in Caldera’s Gulag mode. With spawning back into the game on the line, it’s no surprise that players are becoming irritated with audio failures in Gulag 1v1s. Warzone players demand Gulag audio fixes in Season 5 One Redditor led calls for changes to Gulag audio, claiming that: “Audio in the new gulag is messed up, [my opponent] tac sprinted directly towards me and absolutely no audio cues.” Attached was a video showing the player eliminated quickly after being ambushed by their bizarrely silent opponent. They were far from alone in their issues, too. Another player questioned why footstep audio for Gulag spectators is still working, but opponent footsteps are completely inaudible. A third said: “People literally tac sprinting right behind me. No audio. Gunshots of enemies shooting my teammates right next to me. No audio. Random footsteps in the gulag… The audio has been trash for a long time but this is a whole new level.” Rounding off the complaints was Facebook Gaming streamer Matt Laff, who said: “Am I losing my mind or is there NO audio in the Gulag in Warzone at all?! Oh wait, sorry I can still hear Fred and Daphne above me throwing rocks and running about!” It’s certainly frustrating players but Raven have not yet responded publicly. Here’s hoping a prompt patch can put footstep audio back on the right tracks ahead of Modern Warfare 2’s launch later this fall.

  • Warzone players demand changes to “trash” ground loot in Season Five – Dexerto

Warzone players demand changes to “trash” ground loot in Season Five ActivisionWarzone’s Season 5 is finally here and with it comes a ton of new content. This includes perks, POIs, and new weapons. However players are outraged over the ground loot changes that came with the latest update. With the new season, the Warzone devs mixed up the ground loot. In previous seasons some of the ground weapons were really good. Players would dominate games and find Legendary weapons on the ground, which were good enough to get a couple kills to purchase a Loadout Drop. However, now that a new season is here players are furious and want a change made to the ground loot, as they claim the devs “are intentionally trolling us.” Players fuming over Warzone Season 5 useless ground loot With every major update there has been a change to the ground loot, and this season was no different. However, players are not happy that they are losing out on some extremely good equipment. One Redditor puts it plain and simple, “Season 4 loot was phenomenal” the person goes on to say that this season’s ground loot is “overall way worse than” the previous iteration. Players are claiming that the drops this season are so useless, as TEC 9s, MG 82s, M60s and other “useless” weapons are dropping everywhere. The Warzone community is rallying together to get the attention of the devs. They want a change to be made right now. Redditor ‘Genreal_Krig’ is part of the player base that is demanding the loot gets updated. This player is not happy with the pistols, shotguns, and sub-par SMGs that are available to them. Another Redditor ‘WashedUpgamer69’ thinks that this change was made because the floor loot last season was just too overpowered. They said that last season’s loot was just as good as using a loadout, all that was needed were perks. Warzone content creator JGOD did mention that the ground loot for the C58 and MAC10 were nearly identical to the “meta” builds. Making these weapons extremely viable to use until getting a loadout drop. The loot tends to get updated at the start of the season and halfway through so players might need to be patient, and start getting used to using some “trash” guns when dropping into Verdansk.

  • Warzone players demand changes to “dumb” Gas Masks – Dexerto

Warzone players demand changes to “dumb” Gas Masks Infinity WardSome Warzone players are calling on Infinity Ward to make changes to the gas mask feature, as many claim it is ruining gunfights in late-game scenarios. Warzone, Call of Duty’s second battle royale effort, has been acclaimed for its fast pace and consistent engagement. One of the aspects that makes the game so action-heavy is the speed at which the circle collapses in late-game situations, forcing players to be constantly on the move. One way players can get ahead of enemies is with a gas mask, a gold item that provides short-term immunity from the toxic gas. While certainly not strong enough to keep players in the circle for an extended period of time, it can certainly help players out of a tricky spot. Despite how useful it can be, players have found that it can also be a serious detriment, primarily because of the invasive animations for taking the mask off and putting it on. One player, u/MaReDioa, posted a clip on May 28, showing them lose a late-game gunfight thanks to their operator pulling their mask on in the middle of the engagement. They asked: “Can my operator not put his mask on while I’m aiming and firing, please?” The sentiment was echoed by others, who have experienced similar issues. While the animation is designed to inform players when their mask is on and off, it often inhibits gunfights and stops players from firing at enemies. In those circumstances, it may actually benefit players to not use gas masks, and just hope they can outrun the storm. Other Redditors have argued similar things, with one describing the animation as “one of the things that has killed me the most in this game” and “dumb and unnecessary”. Another player actually suggested being able to toggle the gas mask on or off, in a similar fashion to night vision mode in general multiplayer. This would allow players to keep track of whether their mask in on or off, without the intrusive animation. Whether Infinity Ward make changes to the gas mask remains unclear, as the animation could potentially be an intentional balancing factor. If there was no animation at all, it would make it much easier to lurk on the very edge of the circle. However, a manual option could be a solution, or perhaps stopping the mask from being put on when aiming or firing.

  • Warzone players demand changes for “unusable” Automaton following major nerf – Dexerto

Warzone players demand changes for “unusable” Automaton following major nerf ActivisionPlayers are calling on Raven to buff the Automaton in Warzone Pacific Season One, after nerfs left the newly-added Vanguard assault rifle “unusable”. Warzone Pacific Season One, after months of anticipation and fan excitement, finally dropped on December 8. Amongst other things – like the Caldera map and gameplay changes – the update brought all of CoD: Vanguard’s multiplayer weapons into Warzone. Whilst the meta is still sorting itself out, one of the earliest frontrunners was the Automaton. The Vanguard AR only boasts moderate damage, but its lack of recoil and incredibly fast fire-rate made it an instant fan favorite. Unfortunately, the powers that be at Raven decided it was too strong and quickly handed out a hefty nerf. Emphasis, there, on ‘hefty’. Below, thanks to YouTuber TheXclusiveAce, is a look at the Automaton’s new recoil compared to other weapons in Warzone. As a result of its incredible recoil, many have deemed the weapon “unusable” and are calling on Raven for a swift buff. Whilst there is general acceptance that its pre-nerf recoil was insufficient, making the weapon completely impossible to control is not what players had in mind. Redditor ‘MiFeyz‘ described it as “unusable”, saying: “It literally breaks your back I’m not kidding. This gun sucks. Don’t say its because I have it level one I have it level 70 gold and its all no recoil attachments and the thing goes straight up to the sky.” A number of other players chimed in, suggesting that Raven’s nerf went overboard and that a counter-buff would be useful. One said: “They definitely went over the top with the nerf, its damage was already ass and the no recoil was all it really had going for it.” Another simply commented: “Yeah that nerf was heavy handed.” The nerf undoubtedly did its job of weakening the Vanguard AR, but it has also driven players to use pretty much anything else. Hopefully Raven can find a sweet spot, somewhere in the middle.

  • Warzone players demand change to “worthless” Nebula Rounds – Dexerto

Warzone players demand change to “worthless” Nebula Rounds ActivisionSeason 2 of Warzone Pacific brought the Nebula V Rounds field upgrade and, after a few weeks of trying out the ammo rounds, players have some serious complaints and want to see change with them. The Nebula Rounds arrived in Warzone and immediately became a source of frustration for victims, but the tides are starting to turn for some, who find them less of a help and more of a hindrance. The ammo rounds release noxious gas when the enemy being hit is downed or killed, causing frustration for nearby teammates or even enemies. While this sounds like it should be helpful to weed out opponents, some players say the opposite is actually occurring. While the field upgrade has been pretty popular across Caldera and Rebirth Island, it might be losing steam among the Warzone player base for a couple of reasons. “Aren’t nebula rounds just worthless,” asked Warzone player Abdullahbinalsafah. “If I kill someone with it I can’t loot their bodies without taking DMG and wasting plates, the only way they might be useful is if you sniped someone far away and his teammates cant raise [sic] otherwise they do more harm than good.” Much of the comments are in agreement with the above post, too. “I don’t even bother picking them up anymore,” one explained. “They make the target harder to see due to the smoke emitted. Not great, would not mind if they just take them out again.” Others suggest that the field upgrade is good for getting a bit of extra ammunition in the early stages of the game, or to speed up the reload process on weapons, but by and large they don’t find them super helpful. Whether this makes developers Raven Software re-assess Nebula Rounds and change or, as some players want, remove them completely, remains to be seen.

  • Warzone players demand change to “overpowered” vehicles – Dexerto

Warzone players demand change to “overpowered” vehicles ActivisionGiven the size and scale of Call of Duty: Warzone’s map, there are a plethora of vehicles that allow easy transportation from Prison to Dam – but players aren’t happy with just how overpowered they are in the current meta. Infinity Ward’s venture into the battle royale genre has gone down a treat. Over 30 million players dropped into Verdansk within the first 10 days, making it the fastest-growing non-mobile game ever. Despite the game’s accolades, players still have a list of peeves that they would like addressed. From the clunky gas mask animation to Verdansk being seemingly overrun with hackers, Infinity Ward certainly have their work cut out to meet player demands. However, one in-game element that has been gradually changing Warzone’s meta has been vehicles. Coming in all shapes and sizes, vehicles don’t just offer an easy way to traverse Verdansk — they also double-up as one of the most lethal weapons in the game! Whether it’s a Tactical Rover or an SUV, players often use vehicles to run over their opponents, allowing one player to single-handedly take out an entire squad without even breaking a sweat. So what’s the big issue? Just stay indoors, right? Well, no… As one Reddit user found out the hard way, nowhere is safe from the wrath of Warzone’s vehicles. Even though the entirety of the Redditor’s player model was inside the building, they were completely wiped out by the Cargo Truck. And given the prevalent nature of Warzone’s vehicle troubles, plenty of players have used the Warzone subreddit to vent their frustrations. Top streamers such as Jaryd ‘Summit1G’ Lazar and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek have echoed the thoughts of the community, with Lazar labelling them as “overpowered” while Grzesiek suggested that they should be scrapped altogether. It doesn’t just stop there. Another user aptly highlighted that enemies in the final circle often use the vehicle’s third-person POV to their advantage, as they scope out the competition and use their vehicle as a fortress on wheels. Although, a simple solution was proposed: “A super-easy way to balance this is to make all vehicles, including the [helicopter], first-person only.” So with vehicles becoming all the range in Warzone, Infinity Ward are seemingly stuck between a rock and a hard place. The developers can’t simply remove them, given the sheer enormity of Verdansk, so perhaps a first-person perspective is the only way to mitigate their dominance in the server?

  • Warzone players demand change to fix “epidemic” of early quitting – Dexerto

Warzone players demand change to fix “epidemic” of early quitting Raven Software/ActivisionWarzone players are demanding change after a wave of people, which some have described as an “epidemic,” have been deciding to quit games early without consequence. Playing with random teammates has ups and mostly downs. It could be said that there is nothing worse than being abandoned by a teammate mid-match or before a game even starts. Other competitive games disincentivize players for leaving early. For example, in CoD: Vanguard Ranked, players that leave early lose Skill Rating and Ladder Points. Warzone does not punish players for leaving early, though, and it’s becoming a problem for the community. Warzone players demand repercussions for players leaving early Disgruntled Warzone players have been voicing their frustrations on Reddit. Reddit user PaleoclassicalPants created a Reddit thread and said: “The culture of ‘well that didn’t go perfectly to plan, better insta-backout’ is legitimately killing two-thirds of my lobbies.” The Reddit user suggested that there needs to be something in place to disincentivize players from backing out. Another used added, “bring in the ban hammer. You abandon your team, you get to cool off for a while. Longer ban for repeat offenders.” To further complicate the matter, other users protested that players should not be punished if they lose connection to a server. One user claimed they worked as an in-house game tester for Microsoft for almost ten years and said, “I can’t remember if it was Gears of War 2 or 3, but one of the titles implemented a very strict drop policy. I think it was much needed, but you’d also get flagged if your internet dropped or batteries died.” Raven Software needs to find a happy medium to satisfy everyone. Players shouldn’t be punished for losing connection to a game but also shouldn’t be allowed to leave whenever they feel like it. Warzone 2 is right around the corner and Raven Software may need to find some sort of resolution before then.

  • Warzone players demand change to ‘broken’ gas circle – Dexerto

Warzone players demand change to ‘broken’ gas circle ActivisionWhile Warzone has been inundated with praise, there’s one gripe that is annoying players to a point where they’re now demanding Infinity Ward make a change. Generally speaking, Infinity Ward’s follow-up to Treyarch’s Blackout has been met with open arms. By introducing features such as the Gulag, Custom Loadouts and a unique Buy Station system, the developers have innovated upon the battle royale genre. That said, players have been vocal about one of the major caveats to Warzone’s Battle Royale mode — the circle collapse. Specifically, players have expressed concerns about how the gas provides an advantage to those on the wrong side of the circle. Read more: Grau or M4A1 in Warzone: Which is better? – While the gas is supposed to restrict players’ visuals, one Redditor underscored the inconsistencies it holds, as they highlighted a clip of a player being “rewarded with improved vision” from within the gas. While the player who was where they should be (in the safe zone) could barely see their enemy hidden in the gas. With just one other player remaining, the Reddit user was handicapped by the engulfing effects of the circle collapse. Yet after being eliminated, the killcam highlighted how their opposite number had a much more clear line of sight. Of course, with the gas affecting players in different ways in the most tense portion of the game (final circle), players are now calling for action from the developers to make a change. “Being in the gas is supposed to [be] a disadvantage, not an advantage…” one player agreed. While another contested that Infinity Ward wasn’t “interested in making a competitive game” as they expressed their frustration. Of course, while the player behind the circle collapse will have been using a Gas Mask, as it stands, the game is punishing players who should theoretically have the advantage by staying ahead of the curve and gaining better positioning. There has been no indication that Infinity Ward have clocked the issue as of yet, per the developer’s tracker, but rest assured that we’ll keep you updated should there be any developments.

  • Warzone players demand Champion of Caldera LTM be made permanent – Dexerto

Warzone players demand Champion of Caldera LTM be made permanent ActivisionWarzone players are demanding that the Champion of Caldera limited-time mode be made permanent, claiming that it’s a far better version of the regular BR on Caldera. Warzone has been somewhat of a mixed bag ever since the Vanguard integration and the launch of Warzone Pacific. Fans didn’t quite gel with Caldera the same way they did with Verdansk, and while the introduction of Fortune’s Keep has reignited a lot of players’ love for the game, it’s not quite hit the same heights. That said, there are always certain new features, modes, weapons, and more that help players fall in love with the game again, and now Champion of Caldera is proving to be incredibly popular. The LTM was first introduced in Season 3 Reloaded. In the mode, you spawn in with the loadout of your choice rather than looting or waiting for the free loadout drop, in a constantly-closing circle, meaning the action is quicker and campers are quickly wiped out if they decide to sit around too long in the gas. While the LTM has been in and out of the game frequently since it first launched, players are now requesting that it is made permanent. “Champion of Caldera Trios is a freaking awesome mode,” said Warzone player chopbustre, adding that it “Needs to stay!” They added: “My game sense and skill has improved dramatically over the last week. I am a 1 KD player who has upped to 1.6 since I started playing this mode.” The post received hundreds of upvotes and comments, with most in full agreement that it should become a permanent addition to the game’s playlists. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but with Warzone 2 on the horizon for the end of 2022, it may well be something the devs give more consideration when the new battle royale title arrives alongside Modern Warfare 2.

  • Warzone players demand buffs for “horrible” weapon class – Dexerto

Warzone players demand buffs for “horrible” weapon class ActivisionWarzone players have called for an entire weapon class to be buffed, calling the guns “horrible” and questioning why the devs have made them so difficult to thrive with. The Warzone meta has been fairly open since the Modern Warfare 3 integration, with a number of weapons viable in both long and short-range gunfights. That said, there are some guns that have just never forayed into the meta or been given their chance to shine, and it’s typically because they just can’t go gun-for-gun against others, and many of these such weapons belong to a singular weapon class: the marksman rifles. While marksman rifles have drifted in and out of the Warzone meta over the past 4 years, they’re really not enjoying a moment as things stand, especially after the wildly overpowered MTZ Interceptor got nerfed multiple times. Warzone players want marksman rifles buffed Because of this, a number of players have called for marksman rifles to be buffed, making them far more viable in the current meta. “Before you get 3 shots off you’ve already been beamed down by a SMG in 1sec,” said SnooTigers8974 on Reddit. “How is it that SMGs is superior to MM rifles on range? No wonder these weapons aren’t used anywhere.” Many of the comments were in agreement, that marksman rifles simply can’t compete against the meta LMGs and assault rifles, but there was one gun that many players vouched for and could be a sleeper: the DM56. Whether the DM56 can truly compete with the likes of the RAM 7 or the Pulemyot isn’t really apparent, with some believing it can, but it hasn’t really spread across the meta in a way to really showcase whether that’s possible. In a future update, developers Raven or Sledgehammer Games might opt to buff the marksman rifles, but for now, you might be at a bit of a disadvantage if you choose to use them.

  • Warzone players demand big Modern Warfare weapon buff before MW2 release date – Dexerto

Warzone players demand big Modern Warfare weapon buff before MW2 release date ActivisionWarzone players are pleading for a Modern Warfare weapon buff leading up to the release of Modern Warfare 2 (2022). Call of Duty Vanguard weapons dominate the current Warzone meta. The NZ-41 recently overtook the STG44 as the most popular Warzone gun. The top six most popular Warzone weapons on wzranked are from CoD Vanguard. The NZ-41 is selected at a rate .96, and the most popular Modern Warfare gun is selected at just %2.19. There is currently a massive gulf in popularity between Vanguard and Modern Warfare weapons, but some Warzone players believe that gap will disappear closer to the Modern Warfare 2 release date in October. Warzone players expect a Modern Warfare weapons buff Reddit user General_Krig started a Reddit thread and said “right before MW2 comes out, they will put Modern Warfare 2019 on sale and buff a bunch of the Modern Warfare weapons in the last weeks or months of Warzone.” Some Warzone players believe that CoD Vanguard weapons have been buffed by developers to sell more weapon skins and blueprints from the store. General_Krig and other users in the thread believe that Activision will use the same marketing scheme to build up hype for Modern Warfare 2. Several users are excited over the prediction of a Modern Warfare weapon buff and would embrace it with open arms. One user said, “my loadouts are ready; wake me up when the update rolls out.” Another user added, “honestly, I hope that a month before MW2 launches they reset us to the Kilo, Grau, MP5, Mp7 meta.” Someone else said, “please don’t give me hope like that”. For now, Vanguard weapons reign supreme in Warzone, and only time will tell if this prediction comes true within the next few months.

  • Warzone players demand “atrocious” weapon balancing rework before Black Ops 6 – Dexerto

Warzone players demand “atrocious” weapon balancing rework before Black Ops 6 ActivisionCoD content creator JGOD argued that Warzone’s meta has been stale this year, saying Raven Software nerfs overpowered weapons every seasonal update without adding viable options in their place. Every Warzone seasonal update, Raven Software re-balances weapons with buffs and nerfs. This occurs about once every month and shakes up which weapons most players prefer using. While these patches keep the experience fresh and force users to try new weapons, JGOD argues there is a significant flaw with how the development team has handled weapon rebalancing during MW3’s iteration. Compared to Warzone 2, JGOd argued, “We’ve had the same or more amount of updates and new season weapons, but it hasn’t led to more variability in the meta.” To support this claim, JGOD argued that most updates this year have unnecessarily nerfed weapons. “Obviously, if something is overpowered, you have to nerf it,” JGOD said. “But there are some things in a great spot, feel good, and don’t get any complaints, but still get a nerf.” This wouldn’t be an issue if less used weapons got a buff to replace the options that get knocked down a peg, but the YouTuber doesn’t believe that a good enough effort has been made in introducing new meta weapons. For example, the STG is the most popular long-range meta weapon in Season 5. Players expect the AR to get nerfed in the Season 5 Reloade update on Aug. 21, but that might not be the best option. “They are going to nerf the STG, and it’s going to be like everything else feels like trash,” JGOD said. “Buffing weapons to make the game more fun should be glaringly obvious, but they actively subtract instead, and it doesn’t work.” Black Ops 6 launches on October 25. Activision has yet to reveal any information about the upcoming battle royale. Still, JGOD hopes that the development team does a better job adding a wide range of weapon options instead of taking them away.

  • Warzone players demand another nerf for “broken” Owen Gun – Dexerto

Warzone players demand another nerf for “broken” Owen Gun ActivisionThe Owen Gun SMG has been the bane of many Warzone fans’ existence recently and it continues to haunt them with many players demanding a definitive nerf to the weapon. Despite receiving a secret nerf recently, the Owen Gun is still relentless in Warzone Season 3. No amount of new guns or Gozillla-themed content will dissuade players from asking for Owen Gun nerfs as the ferocious gun is occupying many lobbies. Owen Gun loadouts are all too popular and more and more examples are being shown off all the time displaying just how ridiculously OP it is. OP Owen Gun possibly in need of a Warzone nerf? As we’ve said, the weapon has actually been nerfed already, but it doesn’t seem to have made much of a significant difference. A Reddit user on the Warzone subreddit put together a compilation of Owen Gun supremacy that showed how ridiculously accurate and destructive the SMG truly is. In several instances, the Owen Gun was absolutely beaming two, three, and even four players in quick succession. Its healthy ammo clip, combined with its inch-perfect power and precision, gave opposing players no chance to react and it made absolute mincemeat out of countless players that happened to find themself in front of the gun’s iron sight. It wasn’t just the OP who thought that the Owen Gun was “broken” either. One commenter said: “The gun would still be top tier if it had a 40-round mag, the fact it has 72 makes it ridiculous. You just can’t have one of the most powerful SMGs that also has good maneuverability, and has an LMG-sized magazine. Don’t see them removing the 72-round attachment so it’s gonna need a few more nerfs before it’s not on top for quads and trios. ” Another user chimed in: “This gun is not balanced at all, the fire rate being increased that much by the RB and the small barrels makes it OP. Compared to other VG [Vanguard] SMGs that are OP to begin with.” Eventually, all guns that are clearly dominating Warzone do get nerfed. It happened with the DMR, the AMAX, and countless others. So we imagine it won’t be long until the Owen Gun is knocked off of its perch.

  • Warzone players delighted by new map’s vibrant color & nature in Pacific teaser – Dexerto

Warzone players delighted by new map’s vibrant color & nature in Pacific teaser ActivisionA new Warzone map has been near the top of most CoD players’ wish lists for a long time now and those wishes now seem to be coming true. With a new reveal for the Pacific map, fans are already ecstatic about color and nature in the change of scenery. It’s official. Yes, Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a new map with Vanguard and, yes, it’s going to be set in the Pacific — meaning a change in terrain and, as it turns out, overall vibrancy. During CoD’s multiplayer reveal for Vanguard on September 7, the devs decided to treat their battle royale fans to some clips, pictures, and information about the upcoming integrated map: the Pacific map. Despite how short the reveal was, players are already hype. The teaser showed glimpses of blue skies, colorful nature, and “lush landscapes.” After years spent in Verdansk (and its overwhelming sunlight), these shots of saturation have made quite the impression. In the replies to CI’s tweet, the most common responses surround words like “beautiful” and “color.” One user summed up most fans’ reactions pretty concisely: “It looks so f**king good, like it actually has color.” And that doesn’t just apply to the blue water and skies, as there was a ton of greenery and vibrancy in every minor clip shown. Warzone new map & anti-cheat https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1435294525266690050 The devs also followed up with more confirmations, explaining that there will indeed be more playlists and community events and — most importantly — a brand-new anti-cheat system in place when the new map drops. Overall, we’ll need to wait to see more out of Vanguard’s new Pacific map before dropping any firm expectations. But, for now, it’s most certainly nice to see a return to the vibrancy players might remember from Blackout. No word yet on how tall the buildings will be, but campers beware: there weren’t any massive structures in the trailer. Oh, and no word on animals in the game either. There was a bunch of water in the trailer, but we might just have to wait and see.
