  • Warzone players delighted over early Modern Warfare 2 menu change – Dexerto

Warzone players delighted over early Modern Warfare 2 menu change ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have discovered a new detail about the game’s start menu which has them excited for Modern Warfare 2’s launch later this year. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has officially been revealed as the next installment in the massively successful reboot of the original Modern Warfare trilogy. Alongside Modern Warfare 2, Activision is developing Warzone 2, which is slated to release sometime in 2022. In the meantime, fans playing the existing Warzone have noticed an exciting new change to the game’s start menu: Call of Duty Cold War and Vanguard have been replaced with Modern Warfare 2. Warzone start menu featuring Modern Warfare 2 A post on the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit pointed out the change, gaining over 1,700 likes and 200 comments in just one day. The post, titled “Cold War and Vanguard are gone from the Warzone Launch screen… it’s all Modern Warfare now, baby,” shows the standard Warzone launcher flanked by panels for both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare. Players in the comments certainly seem to be ready to move on to Modern Warfare 2, with many glad to see Cold War and Vanguard out of the picture. “Maybe they can get rid of the Cold War and Vanguard weapons now too,” said user ‘badgersana.’ While most players aren’t as negative toward the move away from Call of Duty’s older titles the overall sentiment is definitely excitement for what comes next. Still, there’s a chance that players could get a shift back to the early days of Warzone with Warzone 2, as early gameplay details confirmed that it’s being “built from the ground up” with an entirely new engine. Additionally, the next iteration of Warzone will apparently feature a “play space and new sandbox mode” to space up the battle royale format the game is known for. However, until Warzone 2 arrives sometime this year fans can still enjoy Warzone and look forward to Modern Warfare 2 as well.

  • Warzone players delighted as TeeP shows M4A1 might be returning to meta – Dexerto

Warzone players delighted as TeeP shows M4A1 might be returning to meta Twitter, @TylerTeeP / ActivisionNostalgic Call of Duty: Warzone players might be in for a treat, as TeeP brought back the legendary M4A1 following a Season 5 patch and… after pulling off some nasty plays, it just might be meta again. Warzone’s meta has been in absolute flux for weeks now, as Raven Software continue to unleash update after update adjusting the game’s most popular weapons. And, now, after patches on September 15 and September 23 — Verdansk might be going old school. In the numerous Season 5 patches, Warzone’s meta ARs and LMGs have gotten nerfed time and time again. And, just as these changes have opened things up for the OG Modern Warfare MP5’s return, the M4 might be making a comeback too. In a series of clips shared by Warzone streamer and former CoD pro Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow, the M4 looks… deadly. And, for the game’s Season 1 players, that is very exciting news. This guy @TylerTeeP really giving us an excuse to bring back the OG M4 🥰pic.twitter.com/XnxhWWgmrx — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) September 23, 2021 As you can see from TeeP’s clips, the M4 still shreds at medium ranges. With comfortably controlled recoil and a generally nice feel, other guns’ nerfs have given the beloved AR a chance to return. And in the replies and quote tweets, people showed serious hype over the gun’s performance — some saying “my time has come,” while others were more reminiscent: “This gun reminds me of the best times this game has ever had.” But it wasn’t just fans who got excited by the M4’s possible return to the meta, as the Two-Time, Dr Disrespect, immediately asked TeeP for the loadout. Warzone’s OG M4A1 loadout for Season 5 While it’s close to the timeless loadout people remember from Season 1, this one actually opts for an Optic instead: Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier – Optic: VLK 3.0x – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 60 Round Mags – Unlike the original M4, TeeP’s version for Season 5 features Commando instead of Merc Foregrip and a VLK optic instead of iron sights (which usually enabled usage of a Rear Grip). If you want to mix it up even further, you can replace the VLK with a Corp Combat Holo (especially if you’ve got the Blue Dot reticle) since the gun excels at mid range. Overall though, it’s just nice to see the M4 making a return — whether it’s simply viable or actually meta.

  • Warzone players delighted as KAR98K nerfed again in “huge W” update – Dexerto

Warzone players delighted as KAR98K nerfed again in “huge W” update ActivisionWarzone players have praised the “huge W” nerf to the KAR98K in the July 2 update, with some feeling like the rifle has actually been affected this time. When it was confirmed that the KAR98K would be returning in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4, the overwhelming majority of fans were over the moon – especially when it came to the battle royale. The marksman rifle, which transports some long-time fans back to the glory days of Verdansk, immediately became a problem however. Plenty of players complained that it was simply too powerful and needed to be brought down a notch. The Season 4 Reloaded update marked the first nerf for the KAR, as its aim assist properties were changed. Yet, its power was further nerfed in the July 2 update, which players have praised as it finally feels like the rifle has been changed. “RIP KAR!!!! Huge W. It is now a 3-shot kill to extremities,” said one player. “So the kar doesn’t 2 tap anywhere in the body anymore? W IMO,” another added. “That’s a big W update that should bring the Kar much more into balance. Adding some actual risk in to balance the extremely high reward potential, now you actually have to hit high damage areas to be successful with it,” another player commented. Other players hoped the change would create some bigger picture changes in the battle royale as well. “Hopefully this ends Karzone with half the lobby hiding on roofs with a KAR. I doubt it but I can dream,” one added. “It’s a huge W. Now Timmy won’t be able to 2 shot you in the toe from the rooftop he’s been sitting on for 15 minutes hardscoping the landscape,” another chimed in. The KAR still has that nostalgia factor for a lot of players, so they’re going to crack on with using it regardless of nerfs. However, the best TTK in the game now goes to an LMG option instead.

  • Warzone players delighted as fan concept added in Season 3 Reloaded – Dexerto

Warzone players delighted as fan concept added in Season 3 Reloaded ActivisionPassion is often rewarded when you put enough time and effort into something that you truly care about — and two Warzone fans saw the fruits of their labor become realized in the Season 3 Reloaded update. The Season 3 Reloaded update brought some major new additions to Warzone including a reduced lobby size, stim nerfs, and Vanguard AR buffs. Quality of life improvements were made to the Squad HUD, including a Total Squad Cash counter and an Armor Plate counter. Possession icons were also added for Gas Mask, Kill Streal, Self-Revive, Keycars, Gulag Entry Tokens, and Redeploy Extraction Tokens. Since the patch dropped, two members of the community have taken credit for first coming up with the ideas. New Warzone HUD inspired by fan concept ButterSpeed is a Warzone content creator that made a video series focused on revisions he wants to see implemented into Warzone. The three uploaded videos have 868,000 views combined, as of writing. The second person is Reddit user Abood_Abuobaid. Both fans created their own suggestion for a new squad HUD, and both creations were used as inspiration for the actual squad HUD change in the Season 3 Reloaded update. In Burterspeed’s first video titled “The Little Things” which came out in October 2021, he showed an image of a potential UI change to the armor system. BurterSpeed stated, “communicating with teammates, especially if they are random players, can be pretty challenging.” The content creator’s solution of adding total team cash, a plate indicator, and icons for items such as the Gas Mask and Kill Streak made it into the actual update. BurterSpeed was inspired by the Reddit post below, too, which stated it could be a “very helpful” rework of the HUD. Abood_Abubaid said in the comments: “I’m glad I was able to be helpful to the community.” As seen below in the official updated HUD, it combines both ideas into a clean and easy-to-read image. The tweaked HUD has been received extremely positively by the community and fans are happy that their voices are being heard. It will be interesting to see if any other fan suggestions are implemented into Warzone or in Modern Warfare 2.

  • Warzone players debate the best map in season 5 – Dexerto

Warzone players debate the best map in season 5 ActivisionWarzone fans debated their favorite map in season 5 – either Vondel or Ashika? Warzone 2 Season 5 brought new maps, POIs, weapons, and adjustments to the battle royale. Warzone players debated the best resurgence map between Vondel and Ashika Island, considering all the balance changes that have affected how each map plays. So, which map did the community prefer? The water-heavy Vondel or Japanese-themed Ashika Island? “Ashika over Vondel all day” Reddit user Strange_Meet_6546 posed a question to the Warzone community as he picked Vondel over Ashika: “Am I right?“ Warzone fans debated the original poster’s point immediately. “Ashika over Vondel all day. Unless we’re dropping museum. Let’s go!!” One player added to the debate. “I don’t mind Vondel honestly but Ashika is superior.” But the discussion wasn’t all one-sided. The community conversation also sparked mixed feelings about the water element of the Vondel map, and players’ reliance on the FTAC to camp and get easy underwater kills. “The water aspect in MWII imo is just not that great. “Like you said always some mf just chilling with an FTAC. All the water maps are my least favorite” one player complained. “Too many rats in Vondel, less gun skill involved,” another agreed. Fort Resurgence joined the map pool with Warzone 2 Season 5, and while not included in this debate, people have still chimed in on its own performance, as streamers like Swagg slammed the map design as “lazy.”

  • Warzone players create armed trucks with new Sentry Gun – Dexerto

Warzone players create armed trucks with new Sentry Gun ActivisionThe Warzone Season Four Reloaded patch saw the Sentry Gun introduced to Verdansk for the first time. Now, players are finding new ways to use the automatic turret in fun and creative ways. Players have found a new innovative way to deploy the Sentry Gun killstreak in Warzone by creating armed trucks. Only two things are needed to make this armed truck in Warzone, a Sentry Gun and a cargo truck. Clips have been flying around Twitter and Reddit showing off the new killstreak and all it is capable of doing. This new strategy shows how to take a mounted turret and make it mobile. Armed Trucks in Warzone? A clip on Reddit went viral when “Billyooo” posted a the video of his squad driving around in a cargo truck with the Sentry Gun placed in the back. In the clip, you can see that the turret doesn’t start firing right away as it usually would if it was placed on the ground. However, when the truck is driving at a slower pace or not moving the Sentry Gun goes to work on enemies. This mechanic could change the way people value trucks in Warzone. Players can deploy the turret, drive up to a fight, and basically have an additional teammate to help spray down enemies. The only flaw with this new tactic is that the Sentry Gun will not start shooting at people if you are driving too fast. So players need to keep in mind they will not be able to pull off a drive-by with the Sentry Gun. The sentry is just the first of what’s to come, with rumors that the Vanguard Warzone update will bring new vehicles, potentially with built-in weapons. This includes tanks, boats, and even airplanes. This is a new way to have fun playing Warzone, even if it is immensely frustrating for players downed by a reversing truck and a turret.

  • Warzone players convinced night-time Al-Mazrah is coming after in-game find – Dexerto

Warzone players convinced night-time Al-Mazrah is coming after in-game find Reddit: EMADALDEN221Call of Duty Warzone fans are convinced a night mode is finally coming to Al-Mazrah after one of them discovered a few subtle changes in-game. When Warzone was first released as a part of Modern Warfare (2019), players quickly became enamored with Verdansk and its daytime setting. However, things went up another notch when a night-time version of the battle royale map dropped in-game. That happened as a part of The Haunting event to celebrate Halloween and, ever since, players have been eager for night-time versions of other maps as well. The devs fulfilled those requests with a darkened version of Rebirth Island. Well, with time running out on the Modern Warfare 2 cycle and probably Al-Mazrah as well, it appears that a night-time version of that will be coming to the battle royale before too long as well. Warzone players believe a day-night cycle is coming to Al-Mazrah That’s according to players who have been convinced a strange happening in-game, as buildings and lights are starting to shine brighter than they have before. Redditor McCloudUK sparked plenty of conversation about a night-time mode when they noticed that one of the buildings in Al-Mazrah had turned all of its lights on. “Was this building always lit up?” they asked. Other players quickly noted that they hadn’t seen it like that before. “No, it wasn’t. Epic find OP, night mode in Al Mazrah is 100% coming,” replied one. “There was also some vehicles that had headlights activated accidentally for a time. Usually turned on after front-end damage. Day night cycle is definitely coming in Halloween event,” added another. Some other players hopped on board with the idea that it was possible that the things coming in a Halloween update had started bleeding in a little early. We’ve already seen leaks stating that a ‘Haunting of Saba’ event will be coming in Season 6, which would happen right before Modern Warfare 3 releases. Though, we’ll have to wait and see if that comes true.

  • Warzone players convinced Fortnite-style bot are now spawning – Dexerto

Warzone players convinced Fortnite-style bot are now spawning Call of Duty: Warzone has recently seen a decline in players due to rampant cheaters and hackers, and one player believes Raven might be using bots akin to Fortnite to account for lost players. Warzone is Activision’s second attempt at a Call of Duty battle royale, and it has far succeeded its predecessor Blackout. For a time, Warzone was the top dog in streaming overtaking other popular battle royale titles such as Fortnite and Apex Legends. However, Warzone’s lack of anti-cheat led to numerous massive streamers leaving the game behind after facing onslaughts of hackers. And even after Raven implemented Ricochet Anti-Cheat, hackers still made frequent appearances. Players also seem disgruntled with the new Caldera map and unbalanced weapons. All of these issues have led to players jumping ship, and these lost players may have been replaced by AI. Warzone player claims bots are in his lobby User theGivvyOfficial posted a clip of his Warzone gameplay to Reddit where he easily took down a player with a pistol. However, he was shocked to see how the “player” moved and his caption questioned whether it was a real player. “Are AI bots being introduced in Warzone…?” Givvy asked. Many comments agreed that it had to be a bot because no real players would move like this. In the clip, the supposed bot is shot while parachuting and does not move to avoid taking damage. They then land, and immediately jump off the roof and attempt to open a Supply Drop. All the while, they are being shot by Givvy. This is very similar to how bots in Fortnite are programmed. They will almost always move to the next zone regardless of whether they’re taking damage. Bots in Warzone could be programmed to focus on getting gear so much so that they ignore enemy players. Yet, a lot of comments disagree with Givvy. Some claim their wife or small children play the same way. Others guessed that the level 2 “bot” was just a younger player who doesn’t understand the game. • Warzone players convinced devs have way more cosmetics planned – Dexerto

Warzone players convinced devs have way more cosmetics planned ActivisionWarzone players are convinced that the Call of Duty devs have even more cosmetics planned after spotting potential parachute skills. And, some of them aren’t happy about it. Over the years, Call of Duty has dipped its toe in the cosmetics game. In older titles, you could purchase unique weapon and character skins to support your favorite Call of Duty teams, but it’s gone way beyond that now. With the popularity of Warzone, CoD has taken another leap in terms of the cosmetics on offer. Sure, the character and weapon skins still remain, but you’ve got everything from music packs to weapon blueprints and beyond available now too. Though, they’re not supposed to offer a competitive advantage. The overwhelming number of cosmetics has been a bit divisive in the community too, especially as some players believe there is too much focus on them over the gameplay. Warzone players believe even more cosmetics are in the works Well, some players are convinced that they’ve got another set of ideas for cosmetics lined up which would include custom parachutes. A few fans on the CoDWarzone subreddit noted that there are different parachute skins in one of the trailers for Warzone, with the Canadian flag, alongside both the Union Jack and Stars and Stripes being shown off. “Just another thing for them to sell in bundles,” said one player. “If it will make them money then answer is 99% of the time yes,” added another. Some players pointed out that BlackCell has included similar things in the past, and it prompted complaints about filler items. “It’s already a thing. One of the Blackcell packs in MW22 had a chute and a trail option, but it was the only thing that had it,” said one. It remains to be seen if they’ll become more widespread over the coming weeks and months, but players are clearly braced for them.

  • Warzone players confused by Ranked SR changes in Season 2 Reloaded update – Dexerto

Warzone players confused by Ranked SR changes in Season 2 Reloaded update ActivisionSeason 2 Reloaded introduces a few changes to Warzone’s Ranked Paly, including a change to placement SR, leaving players unsure why the change was made. A big highlight for Warzone Season 2 was the return of Ranked Play, at least in the form of Resurgence Mode on Fortune’s Keep. Similar to previous Ranked Play iterations, players earn Skill Rating, or SR for short, via placement and kills, with a heavy dosage of points doled out for winning the match. Yet not even weeks after the mode arrived, Season 2 Reloaded changes SR gains for placements, leaving players confused about why the change was made in the first place. Warzone players confused about SR changes With Ranked Play, players earned increasing SR gains if they placed top 12 or higher in the lobby. The original distribution was 20 SR, 40 SR, 60 SR, and 80 SR with a win netting 100 points. However, that changed with Season 2 Reloaded’s patch. Placing top 12 now only nets 15 SR, a net loss of 5 points, while the rest of the gains have been docked by 10 points. It’s safe to say not everyone was a fan of this change. Fans highlighted the randomness of the changes, while kills or entry fees didn’t see any changes. “If you’re lowering the SR earned you better be lowering the amount of SR it costs just to load in,” one player replied. Much of the feedback felt in line with this player’s comments. Regarding the randomness of the changes, one player said: “I’ve never seen so many changes to ranked structure WITHIN a season, how are they going to lower SR earned in the middle of the season? Learn what you want to do and implement them in the next season, this is ridiculous.” The developers didn’t provide any insight into why the changes were implemented. However, given how active they’ve been, hopefully, an explainer will come through sooner rather than later.

  • Warzone players confused as Pacific uses Modern Warfare engine instead of Vanguard – Dexerto

Warzone players confused as Pacific uses Modern Warfare engine instead of Vanguard ActivisionWarzone players have been left confused after it was confirmed that Pacific and the new Caldera map will not switch over to the CoD: Vanguard engine and technology, despite what was previously believed. The Vanguard integration with Warzone has been hotly anticipated for some time now. With a fresh map and a major overhaul to the battle royale title, players have been eager to sink their teeth into it since it was announced. With the first Warzone Pacific Season 1 patch notes now out, gameplay on show and a series of announcements, though, some questions have been raised about the game. The main one of these is around the engine in Warzone, and it’s left people a little confused. In the past, Activision and developers Raven said that Warzone Pacific would be sharing Vanguard’s tech and engine, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Based on the early gameplay from top YouTubers and streamers, the game seems to be sticking with the Modern Warfare mechanics that made it so popular. Call of Duty League caster and former pro player Joe ‘Merk’ DeLuca was one of the first to respond, saying that he was “confused” about what was happening with the engine and mechanics. For many players, this meant one thing, and they’re letting their voices be heard in response to the idea that a FOV slider on console might still not be coming. “No FOV confirmed” wrote one respondent to CharlieINTEL’s tweet, and a search for ‘Warzone FOV’ on Twitter will get many complaints of the same nature. This has left players asking the question, though, of why the engine and mechanics haven’t been shifted to that of Vanguard, rather than Modern Warfare’s 2019 movement. While this might help with continuity, it definitely isn’t what people were expecting.

  • Warzone players conflicted on how to adjust Throwing Knives – Dexerto

Warzone players conflicted on how to adjust Throwing Knives ActivisionThrowing Knives have been meta in Warzone for some time, and players are putting their heads together on how to rebalance them. Since its release, Warzone‘s been through the vicious cycle of meta changes, as various weapons and techniques dominate the in-game battlefield. It’s mostly been weapons that have defined the meta, with the arrival of the MTZ Interceptor raining terror in Warzone. However, there have been times when players lobbied for equipment changes, like when C4 reigned supreme once upon a time. Underneath the everchanging weapon meta lies the Throwing Knife, a long-standing headache for Warzone players, with seemingly no balancing answer in sight. Warzone players discuss Throwing Knife nerfs The topic of debate comes from Warzone player revofx99, after they shared a clip to the game’s subreddit, of them making short work on an enemy squad with Throwing Knives. The title raises the question of whether or not the Throwing Knife should receive a nerf. As it currently stands, the Throwing Knife will one-shot if it hits the head/neck area. However, anywhere else, it’ll do major damage but require two shots. The problem Throwing Knives presents is a double-edged sword; it’s the only lethal that can fully down an enemy, but to do so, you have to perfectly hit your target. The growing debate of SBMM and aim assist don’t do any favors either, with players arguing these impact Throwing Knives. This led to a debate in the replies with players trying to figure out a compromise for the lethal equipment. Most arguments boiled down to the lethals’ damage profile compared to lethals and weapons, with many hoping the one-shot potential gets adjusted since it feels inconsistent at times. “Should only be a one-shot if it hits the head, upper chest is far too easy to hit for it to be a one-shot,” one player reflected, regarding the previous sentiment. With Season 1 Reloaded right around the corner, there might be a chance changes come through.

  • Warzone players concerned Vanguard melee will be even worse than Kali Sticks – Dexerto

Warzone players concerned Vanguard melee will be even worse than Kali Sticks ActivisionA number of Warzone players have shared concerns about melee weapons ahead of Vanguard’s integration into the CoD battle royale, with many believing they could be even worse than the infamous Kali Sticks. The relative power of melees in Call of Duty: Vanguard has been a hot topic since its November 5 launch, with plenty of CoD fans calling on Sledgehammer to nerf them. Melees, particularly when paired with the WWII shooter’s bayonet attachment, have been denounced as overpowered. Reminiscent of MW2’s Commando Pro in the worst way, players with bayonets can melee incredibly quickly and over very large distances, offering little to no counter for the player on the receiving end. This, paired with Warzone’s concurrent melee issues, has got many concerned over how they’ll play out when full Vanguard integration drops on December 8. A recent clip posted to Reddit sees Warzone’s melee problems highlighted, with a player ambushing an opponent who is camped in one of the map’s small storage sheds. However, despite opening fire on the opponent and a good few meters between them, the player is eliminated in a blur as their opponent pulls out the Baseball Bat and somehow connects. They commented: “Why is this still in the game?” Another post poked fun at the Bamboo Kali Sticks, highlighting their range and how they frequently – and inexplicably – outperform assault rifles in Warzone. One reply reflected players’ worries that it will worsen with Vanguard integration, saying: “Wait for the Bayonet with the 20ft reach you will forget all about Bamboo Sticks.” Only time will tell how Vanguard’s mechanics are incorporated into Warzone, but plenty want to see pre-emptive nerfs to ensure they don’t drop in a problematic way.

  • Warzone players concerned the game has become too “sweaty” for casuals – Dexerto

Warzone players concerned the game has become too “sweaty” for casuals ActivisionThe Warzone community is taking to social media to claim that the game has become too “sweaty” and has no place for casuals anymore. Warzone has gone through a lot of changes over its life cycle, and part of that has been an increase in its competitive scene. Being such a popular game for streamers and pro players, the game has naturally begun to gravitate towards having a more competitive culture. However, some Warzone players believe it has gone too far and the game has now completely ruined the experience for casual players. Warzone players think the game is too “sweaty” In a post to the Warzone subreddit, this concern was voiced by someone saying: “This game is no longer for casual players.” They explain how a majority of the community seems to be sweaty players now, a term used to describe someone who is trying as hard as possible to win. The poster laments how it used to feel like casual players could find a place in the game, but that is no longer the case. It seems the community is in agreement with them as well, with one of the top comments saying: “I’m a very casual player and this game is so sweaty it’s not enjoyable.” A large contingent of these players believe that a big part of this is because most casual players stopped after lockdown ended. “They think ‘Warzone, been there, done that’ and moved to other games. They won’t come back even if Verdansk came back.” However, not everyone has this same mindset when it comes to Warzone, with one player commenting: “I get a win every few days in Duos or Trios. I get absolutely smoked and outplayed every so often… sometimes there might be a questionable kill cam… but at the end of the day it’s a game and it’s fun.” There is no completely agreed-upon answer with this issue, and while some Warzone players feel it has changed for the worse, it’s clear that there are still plenty that think it’s completely fine.

  • Warzone players concerned as new Airport Tower spotted in Pacific teaser – Dexerto

Warzone players concerned as new Airport Tower spotted in Pacific teaser ActivisionThanks to the “Secrets of the Pacific” event, Call of Duty: Warzone fans are already worried about the new Caldera map. The cause for concern? People have spotted an uncomfortably familiar Airport Tower in one teaser. In the 600-plus days since Warzone’s release, Verdansk has enjoyed its share of love and hate. But perhaps no specific building was as despised as the tall, campy Airport Tower (known as ATC, or Air Traffic Control, by many). The tall, hard-to-attack structure was hated in both the original Verdansk and the 1984 version. We literally had to write articles about countering each one because people were so annoyed with them. Now, the Secrets of the Pacific event has brought sneak peeks at the upcoming Caldera map. And it didn’t take long before players noticed a notorious, familiar sight — and they want answers. Warzone fans concerned about Pacific map Airport Tower No shot y’all really put a new ATC tower in the #Warzone Pacific map 💀@RavenSoftware say it ain’t so 😭 pic.twitter.com/AV93DrcQ0C — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) November 24, 2021 Within hours of Secrets of the Pacific going live, people quickly noticed that one teaser looked weirdly similar to the old map. The event gives peeks at a number of new locations, but one polaroid shows what is undoubtedly an airport tower. Bringing the issue to light, ModernWarzone tagged the game’s devs at Raven Software with a simple hope: “Say it ain’t so.” In the replies, many were concerned. Some even hoped they’d be able to destroy it, alluding to the reports of destructible environments coming with Vanguard’s Warzone integration. Where’s everyone dropping for the first Warzone Pacific tournament? 🏝 (via @CODTracker) pic.twitter.com/Alxu19GQRY — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) November 24, 2021 On the plus side, it does look like the rest of Pacific’s teasers are very different from Verdansk. This is exciting news for players ready to jump into a brand-new battlefield. And that excitement has some surprisingly positive about the Pacific ATC as well. Impressively, instead of being too concerned, many have noticed that the new version of the notorious tower has a winding stairwell. There are hopes that said stairwell will make the building harder to camp in Caldera. With the new map delayed and expected to launch on December 8, players will soon be able to test that hope out themselves.

  • Warzone players concerned as Fortune’s Keep changes unveiled for Season 2 – Dexerto

Warzone players concerned as Fortune’s Keep changes unveiled for Season 2 ActivisionWarzone players have been left a little bit concerned about the changes to Fortune’s Keep after the updated map was revealed for Season 2. Although Warzone has had four new maps over the last few years – Al-Mazrah, Vondel, Ashika Island, and Urkizstand – players have been pining for what came beforehand. Plenty of longtime Warzone players have called for the returns of Verdansk and Rebirth Island, and the devs are going to bring them back – eventually. Fortune’s Keep, which was added back in 2022 as a part of Season 4 of Vanguard, is coming back in Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 alongside Ranked. That initial news, naturally, excited many players who wanted to get back to the action-packed Resurgence map. However, it will be coming back with a fair few changes that are designed to keep things fresh, but they haven’t gone down all that well with fans. Fortune’s Keep map changes have Warzone players concerned That’s right, Fortune’s Keep will be returning in Season 2, but not exactly as fans remembered it. Some areas have been destroyed and there is a dynamic flooding element to the underground portion which has fans worried. “Ability to flood the underground portion? Kinda cool, but not looking forward to the water rat plays,” said one fan, with others urging the devs to reconsider the new flooding mechanic. “That whole middle section looks like a total clusterf*** of terrain with all the destruction. Not sure I love it, but we’ll see how it plays. Also odd that they seem to have removed all areas that previously had tents and replaced them with buildings,” another added. “Oooof. Im going to try and stay optimistic here, but that huge crater in the middle of the map and the typical new WZ 2 dull color pallette/lighting does make me worry,” commented another. Other players called the new lighting a “massive L” and urged the devs to stop adding “stupid glare” to different Warzone maps. It’s unlikely that there will be any changes made to Fortune’s Keep before it launches, but if the new changes become problematic afterwards, well, they may have to step in then.

  • Warzone players come up with perfect plan to bring Red Doors to Caldera – Dexerto

Warzone players come up with perfect plan to bring Red Doors to Caldera ActivisionWarzone first introduced Red Doors on Verdansk but since the move to the Pacific, they seem to be gone with the wind, until now. Players have devised a perfect plan that will bring the loot-filled doors to Caldera. First introduced in Season 4 of Black Ops Cold War and modified in Season 5, Red Doors were added as a fast travel system to the game. These doors had low spawn rates and gave players access to extremely rare loot. But, with the Pacific update, these doors have seemed forgotten about. A once loved system by the community, completely abandoned in the new update, but fans don’t want it to completely die out and created a plan for Red Doors to make a return. Warzone fans have perfect idea for Red Doors in Pacific A Redditor ‘Share-Puzzled’ posted an idea to the Warzone community that would bring Red Doors to the Pacific island. While their idea wanted Red Doors to take players back to Verdansk to play, another fan had a different idea. “It could teleport you to just a single loot building or room and when you look outside it’s somewhere in Verdansk. Then after a while, you’ll teleport back to Caldera like from a Pack-a-Punch room.” Another person added on “it could be restricted areas of Verdansk like part of prison or anywhere that gives you the same loot as before then teleport you back.” Warzone fans have entertained the idea, while unlikely, to return to Verdansk. While this feature wouldn’t let players compete on the old map, it would still allow them to remember where they started from. Plus it could be a great way to bring a Verdansk Warzone feature into Caldera.

Warzone players come up with perfect Field Upgrade idea to counter campers ActvisionWarzone players are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to pushing campers, or just outright ignoring them. The community may have found the best possible solution for this by adding deployable ladders as a Field Upgrade. Players are often annoyed by people who are camping on roofs, or sitting on the upper floors of buildings. It is often hard to attack these teams without running into their prefire. Before taking these fights, players can loot up and find Field Upgrades such as Dead Silence, Trophy Systems, and others. However, users find these might not be useful when trying to reach people posted up on a roof or holding down a window. The community thinks that, if deployable ladders are added, campers can be conquered. Could ladders make for the perfect Field Upgrade in Warzone? Warzone players are constantly coming up with new ideas to attack campers or better known as “roof rats.” This Reddit post delivers the most genius idea Warzone has seen in a long time. ‘Eleemax’ suggests adding ladders as a Field Upgrade so players can use them to start countering campers. This would allow players to use these ladders to get into buildings’ windows. It can also set up some different tactics to take over a building. Squads can climb up to windows while their teammates run up the stairs, creating the perfect storm. The community is in love with this idea, and some players seem really passionate about this proposal. While this seems like a great strategy, some are still worried about the glitch preventing them from climbing ladders. This annoying bug is ruining games and preventing people from taking the high ground. Players said that, if that gets fixed, then this could be perfect to take fights with campers. For now, it’s just an idea from Reddit but some people think it would be cool to see Activision implement this into Warzone.

  • Warzone players claim Vanguard is just “$60 DLC” to unlock weapons faster – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Vanguard is just “$60 DLC” to unlock weapons faster ActivisionWith Warzone growing in popularity over the normal Call of Duty Multiplayers, fans are calling Vanguard just a DLC to unlock guns faster. Vanguard was integrated into Warzone with the Pacific update on December 8. This gave players access to over 40 weapons, a World War II-themed map, and vehicles. While Warzone is a free game for all players, there are some benefits to owning Vanguard. For instance, you can access the Vanguard Royale mode. But, mostly Warzone players think Vanguard is an easy way to level up weapons and save the grind. Warzone players claim Vanguard only good to level up weapons Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone players have had their complaints about the game and how the two work with one another. A Reddit post by ‘zxrax’ has caught some traction in the community as players think that Vanguard is just a “$60 DLC” for Warzone. This comes after much complaining from Warzone players about leveling up weapons in the battle royale. Players that own Vanguard can play for less time and get anywhere from 20-30 more levels than from Warzone. Players also find it difficult to level up the battle pass and earn some of the free weapons by only playing Warzone. “Expecting to unlock it [battle pass weapons] without multiplayer or the battle pass is just kind of silly.” Another Redditor thinks there are just too many differences between Warzone and Vanguard when unlocking items. “The issue is some of the challenges are almost impossible in Warzone. For instance, you NEVER would have gotten the Bruen unlocked in Warzone with the smoke challenge.” If players have Vanguard then it would be quicker to unlock all the weapons and level it up for attachments. Players want a better connection between Warzone and the current CoD so it’s the same time for each game to unlock all it entails.

  • Warzone players claim TTK is way too fast after Black Ops Cold War changes – Dexerto

Warzone players claim TTK is way too fast after Black Ops Cold War changes ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are calling on developers Raven to adjust the battle royale’s ‘time to kill’ (TTK), with many fans claiming it has sped up significantly since Black Ops Cold War’s integration. The Call of Duty series has become synonymous with fast-paced run and gun FPS action. One of the staples of the series is a fairly quick TTK, meaning you can drop enemy players very quickly, who then respawn and are back in the action in no time. However, the battle royale formula is slightly different, with games considerably longer and no respawns (beyond the opportunity to buy back teammates or to win your Gulag once you’ve been eliminated). Some fans are becoming frustrated with the TTK in Warzone, which they argue is far too quick for a battle royale. One player suggested that the game is unplayable “as a BR”, and likened it to the CoD series’ hardcore mode, which drops players’ health to 30 (meaning they die in one or two shots). “I’ve been playing since the game came online last year,” they said. “People complained about the Grau and other weapons pre-cold war integration, but at least we had actual gunfights. Now if you get spotted first, even just a few meters away from someone, you have no chance. Why play a game where you get instantly deleted, only to sit and wait 10 mins for the hope that your teammate can buy you back only to land and get absolutely deleted again.” Read More: New Warzone map: Ural Mountains rumors – Another player echoed the complaints, saying: “The TTK for this game has dwindled down to ridiculously low levels, and it’s really starting to feel like playing Multiplayer with one life… it feels like I’ve been dying before I even have a chance to react, find cover, or return fire.” A number also highlighted the integration with Black Ops Cold War, speculating whether the addition of new weapons has had a knock-on effect on TTK. “Ever since integration, the TTK has been getting quicker and this can be incredibly annoying to play against,” one said. “Getting beamed without even being able to react in time can make the game so feel frustrating.” At the moment, the key factor in Warzone’s TTK is armor. Armor significantly reduces the amount of damage incoming bullets do, but a player can only have three armors in use at once. This could potentially be raised to four, but this would likely have a knock-on effect on loot drop rates, the viability of armor satchels and more. Of course, the more straightforward alternative is to simply reduce the damage output of weapons, or adjust their rate of fire. While lots of players feel as though Warzone’s TTK needs adjustments, others will no doubt prefer the very fast-paced action, allowing them to mow down full teams, if they’re skilled enough. Any change to TTK that goes too far in the other direction could have a seriously negative effect too.

  • Warzone players claim TTK has become “ridiculous” following Season 4 update – Dexerto

Warzone players claim TTK has become “ridiculous” following Season 4 update ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have hit out at the game following recent updates, claiming that TTK, connection and more have become “ridiculous” in the new Fortune’s Keep environment. Warzone Season 4 dropped back on June 22 and has now had some time to bed into the CoD battle royale. We’ve seen players flock to the new Fortune’s Keep map, a smaller and faster multiplayer setting more similar to Rebirth Island. Updates since then – on June 30 and July 1 – have rebalanced aspects of the Season 4 update that proved imperfect, like a nerf to the incredibly popular NZ-41 assault rifle. However, a number of players have reported problems with the game in the wake of recent updates and the start of Season 4, pointing to problems over hearing enemies, connection, and time-to-kill (TTK). Speaking on Reddit, player ‘070119‘ criticized a seeming decrease in TTK with the new updates, claiming they are being eliminated before even having a chance to react. “Anyone getting dropped after what feels like 3-4 shots?” they asked. “Playing Fortune’s Keep, I keep getting freaking laid out after what feels like 3-4 bullets, or at least sounds like 3-4 bullets. Am I the only one? Can’t even react, it’s ridiculous.” Plenty of others responded to echo the comments. One said: “[You] get the drop on someone, instantly open fire & you die. Killcam shows you standing like a goon for a second before shooting. I swear I’m constantly 1 second behind.” Another commented: “Same. Game has basically been unplayable for me for the last couple weeks.” Raven have not commented publicly on the complaints from players, but many clearly feel that the BR’s connectivity and playability have taken a hit with recent updates. It is fairly common for large updates to have inadvertent effects so that is one potential cause for what players are experiencing. Further patches moving forwards should iron out any issue and, hopefully, Warzone will feel back to its full potential for all players soon.

  • Warzone players claim they’re “food for cheaters” ahead of Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto

Warzone players claim they’re “food for cheaters” ahead of Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionWarzone players are once again frustrated with the battle royale’s hacker situation, claiming that the average player is just “food for cheaters” ahead of Season 4 Reloaded. Warzone’s major issues with cheating are well documented, with the Call of Duty BR long struggling to get a handle on the prevalence of hackers in the average game. Despite the implementation of RICOCHET back in December, there have still been issues with cheaters, although the general consensus is that the situation’s overall outlook has been improved. Regardless, we still see peaks and troughs in terms of the prominence of cheaters and, ahead of Season 4 Reloaded, players are claiming the situation is close to being out of control. Warzone players “food for cheaters” in Season 4 In a July 22 Reddit post, player ‘GeronimoTM‘ questioned the current cheating situation, asking whether the average player is just there for cheaters to prey on. “The Warzone experience is atrocious,” they said. “The first thing I noticed after around 40 matches, is that around 1/5 people I am getting killed from and later spectate are blatant cheaters using aim-lock… and [the] worst part is that some of those obvious cheaters have high-level accounts, which are probably worth hundreds of dollars.” They also pointed to frequent shadow bans on community figures, claiming they’re proof of the prevalence of cheaters. It has all led them to the conclusion: “It makes me question if this game is made for us, everyday players, or if we are just food at this point for cheaters.” While the post garnered some attention – sitting at over 100 upvotes – not everyone agreed with OP’s sentiment. One defended RICOCHET and claimed a bigger problem with Warzone right now is “sweaty” lobbies: “I can’t stress this enough. RICOCHET works. So very few cheaters. At the same time, the experience right now changed a lot as most of the casuals left, and your average lobby is above 1KD.” Naturally, others did echo the sentiment and lamented the fact that cheaters are still regularly encountered, in spite of RICOCHET. Hopefully, when Warzone 2 launches, all these issues will become irrelevant.

  • Warzone players claim snipers are “trash” amid Vanguard hit reg issues – Dexerto

Warzone players claim snipers are “trash” amid Vanguard hit reg issues ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have hit out at the CoD: Vanguard snipers amid hit registration issues in the battle royale, with many claiming they are now “absolute trash.” Warzone players have been complaining about hit registration problems ever since the battle royale first the battle royale market two years ago. However, since the arrival of Caldera and integration with CoD: Vanguard, things have seemingly only gotten worse for fans of the battle royale. Dealing with poor hit detection can make any CoD title difficult to enjoy, especially when someone turns fire against you. Now, players are complaining that the Vanguard snipers are becoming some of the worst offenders in regards to hit reg. Warzone players hit out at Vanguard hit reg Reddit user Shyman4ever posted to the CoDWarzone subreddit complaining about the Kar98k’s hit detection being “misaligned.” They said: “Here is the proof: Either the Kar98k(VG) scope is misaligned or there is a serious problem with hit registration in this game.” In the clip, Shyman aims down their sights on an opponent with the Vanguard Kar98k, pulls the trigger directly on them, and doesn’t land the shot until they take a second shot. They even show a slowed-down version of the show, showing just how poor the hit detection was. Warzone fans quickly echoed Shyman’s complaints regarding hit detection issues with one comment saying: “I have no idea what is wrong with VG snipers. They are absolute trash.” Another commenter pointed out that hit reg issues aren’t just with Vanguard snipers, though. “Not just VG snipers. The swiss has been doing this on and off since the VG integration. They had mentioned they increased flinch but somehow they did something to the hit reg as well,” they added. With hit registration becoming a common issue from Warzone players, hopefully, Infinity Ward is hearing their community’s cries for change

  • Warzone players claim Season 4 Reloaded update made game too “sweaty” – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Season 4 Reloaded update made game too “sweaty” Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone players furiously labeled the game “unplayable” after the Season 4 Reloaded update. Frustrations continued to mount and players voiced their grievances loud and clear. The Season 4 Reloaded update introduced a new limited time mode, Titanium Trials. The mode caters to competitive players by offering increased health and larger lobby sizes. However, some players argue the game mode is extremely “sweaty.” Warzone players criticized Raven Software and Activision for removing Plunder at the start of Season 4 Reloaded. Plunder returned, but unfortunately, the fan-favorite game mode suffers from stutter and network issues. As Warzone nears the end of its lifespan, players are shifting their focus to Warzone 2, and growing less interested in the original battle royale experience. Warzone players blast game’s current state Reddit user Dialga117 created a Reddit thread, claiming “Warzone has been unpleasant to play since Season 4 Reloaded. The player cited laggy servers, “sweaty” lobbies, and poor weapon variety contributing to their frustrations. “Overpowered” weapons such as the NZ-41 and Marco 5 received buffs in the Season 4 reloaded update. The KG M40 and Amaguera took over as the new respective AR and SMG class leaders. Other Warzone players flocked to the thread and echoed similar concerns. One player responded, “[g]reat to have Plunder back, but the lagging & dropping out of game is constant. It’s really bad, and the cheating is unreal.” A second player added, “[i]t has been worse than the usual update. I think even more of the player base dropped off and will continue as we get closer to MW2.” Some players lost faith in the Warzone developers’ commitment to Warzone. One frustrated user claimed, “I think we’re getting to that sad point where updates aren’t about fixing issues, but just trying to string us along till warzone 2 is released.” Warzone’s run broke records and set the standard for battle royale titles. However, Warzone 2’s rumored November 16 release date has fans looking to what’s next.

  • Warzone players claim Season 4 meta changes have made BR “too hard” for casuals – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Season 4 meta changes have made BR “too hard” for casuals ActivisionWarzone players are claiming that frequent meta changes – like those that dropped recently with Season 4 – are making the game “incredibly difficult” for casuals, especially with skill-based matchmaking in the mix too. Warzone Season 4, as has become the norm in the Call of Duty battle royale, constituted a fairly comprehensive meta shake-up. Weapons were buffed and nerfed, bugs were patched and we even got a new map in the form of Fortune’s Keep. While the changes are generally welcomed by the game’s most prominent voices (streamers, pro players, and content creators), they appear to be frustrating those who have less time to invest in Warzone. Warzone meta changes and new content making game “too hard” for casuals In a July 15 Reddit post, one player stated that, because of other commitments, they cannot invest nearly as much time as they’d like into the Warzone. As a result, new content, weapons, and maps do little but make the game “incredibly difficult” to engage with. They explained: “I don’t have time to level up those guns. I’ve been playing for the first time since April today and early game I’m shredding… But the second loadout drops, I’m wildly outgunned… it’s just really annoying that I’d be winning games constantly in my first day back in 3 months if it weren’t for all my best guns being nerfed into the ground since I last played.” It was joined by another post from a casual player who echoed much of the sentiment and claimed that the BR has become “too hard” as a result of committed player improvements and matchmaking. They said: “Warzone is too hard… My hyper competitive shooter days are over unfortunately… WZ was fun when it was new and different, now it is simply just too much for the casual gamer.” While Call of Duty has long been a casual shooter, many clearly feel that Warzone needs to do more to ensure players who don’t invest copious amounts of time can still enjoy themselves. It is a fine line to tread though, with better and worse players only natural in any game’s community. Here’s hoping Raven are able to strike a better balance moving forwards.

  • Warzone players claim Season 3 map changes will benefit snipers despite planned nerf – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Season 3 map changes will benefit snipers despite planned nerf ActivisionWarzone players have revealed their concerns about snipers being more overpowered with the expected map changes arriving with Season 3. As the end of Season 2 nears, details about the upcoming Warzone Pacific Season 3 update, now known as Classified Arms, have been unveiled to fans, and it’s certainly shaping up to be a big one. A ton of new weapons, features, and map changes are expected to hit the Caldera island come April 27, and we also can’t go without mentioning the ‘Operation Monarch‘ event that will focus on a Godzilla and King Kong crossover on May 11. Additionally, the devs are anticipating a “meta shift for Snipers in Season 3,” as they noted specific nerfs to sniper rifles are currently in the pipeline. However, fans are still concerned the weapon class will still be overpowered with the expected map changes. With the Season 3 update set for release, fans took to Reddit to discuss the upcoming additions. With plenty of new POIs being added and other various modifications, the Caldera map changes were generally well-received. However, Warzone player Lma0-Zedong noted that the foliage changes could lead to sniper rifles continuing to dominate the meta. “The problem with reducing foliage is that it will make snipers even more overpowered than what they are,” they said. “The map has so little cover and so many open spaces, that reducing foliage and trees will only lead to more sniping, which is already running rampant on Caldera. The airstrip stuff is the most generic and bland thing I’ve ever seen, it’s an awful POI with nothing remarkable on it,” they claimed. A few players agreed with their point too, but suggested that it might not just be snipers that are a headache. “With that much bland open space, I have a feeling you’ll get rocked with anything when you try to cross it,” said one. “This was always the problem in Verdansk, yet no seems to remember that,” added another. With snipers expected to be hit with nerfs, we could potentially see them not used as much as players are anticipating. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

  • Warzone players claim removing Rebirth for Fortune’s Keep will “kill” battle royale – Dexerto

Warzone players claim removing Rebirth for Fortune’s Keep will “kill” battle royale ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone have voiced their concerns about the potential demise of Rebirth Island, with rumors suggesting it is going to be replaced by a new map – Fortune’s Keep. When Warzone first launched as a part of Modern Warfare in March of 2020, it came with just one map – Verdansk. Though, like many of its battle royale rivals, that didn’t last long. As players wanted a handful of virtual battlefields to fight on, the battle royale devs obliged. On top of numerous Verdansk overhauls, Rebirth Island was also added to the mix, giving fans a much smaller and action-packed map to fight on. With Verdansk being replaced by Caldera – and players not being overly impressed by the World War 2 setting – Rebirth has become many’s go-to mode of choice. However, there are rumors that suggest it may be going away, and fans aren’t best pleased. On June 12, Activision started teasing a new map – Fortune’s Keep – coming to Warzone as a part of the Season 4 update. As of writing, not much is known about the new setting aside from the name and the fact it is based in the Meditteranean. It is claimed, however, that Fortune’s Keep is supposed to replace Rebirth as a secondary map, and that has ruffled a few feathers within the community. Rebirth is like the only thing keeping this game afloat right now. I hope they know what they’re doing,” stated Redditor IamZaid321. “If they get rid of Rebirth I’m out,” added another. Some fans suggested that Rebirth’s removal would “kill” the battle royale, with others questioning why a new map is being added so late into the day. “I’m totally done and will just play something else if they take out rebirth. How dumb can they be, though?” commented another player. As noted, details are still thin on the ground about Warzone’s next map, but seeing as it’s taking the place of Rebirth, it seems likely that it’ll be a similar size and setup. We’ll just have to wait until Raven Software and Activision more details, however, some fans aren’t overly excited by ht prospect of change and may take a break.

  • Warzone players claim Rebirth Island is more “ratty” than ever before – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Rebirth Island is more “ratty” than ever before Activision / PexelsAs Warzone Pacific Season 2 continues to pan out, players that have been grinding Rebirth Island are complaining that the mode has become infested with “rat” campers. The new season of Warzone has brought loads of new content. Some of the biggest have been centered around Rebirth Island. With the competitive Iron Trials mode being implemented as well as map changes coming around the Reloaded patch, Rebirth fans have been enjoying the attention. However, as Warzone devs keep updating this mode, it appears that more “cowards” have appeared – with campers setting up tents all over the place. Warzone players say camping on Rebirth is at all-time high In a Reddit post by ‘ohitsbryanto,’ the user is one of many players that have filed their complaints against Rebirth campers. Bryanto posted a clip of them running around inside the prison and when they were slide-canceling into a room, they were greeted by “ratty campers.” Two enemies were lying prone in a one-way hall waiting for someone like Bryan to push for a free kill. Fellow user ‘Yellowtobleron’ said they run into the same problem in most of their games. “There are actually squads of four holding hands in different houses or areas and don’t move, hard scoping, and waiting.” Redditors argued that Rebirth is made to “play like Multiplayer,” and that people are wasting time by camping. “The camping playstyle doesn’t work and it only screws your K/D and wastes your time.” One user was not friendly toward campers and thinks the influx of them is due to people being bad. They said, “average dumba*ses that can’t play for s**t, go ratty, hold hands, only to die half of the matches the second they have to move.” While there is never going to be a way to eliminate camping from a BR, the Rebirth community feels that players are getting scared to fight and would rather “win and hide” instead of run and gun.

  • Warzone players claim Nuketown Gulag gives unfair advantage to one side – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Nuketown Gulag gives unfair advantage to one side ActivisionA handful of Call of Duty Warzone players have hit out at the new Nuketown-themed Gulag, claiming it favors one side a bit too much. With the release of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Warzone has now combined the weapons of both the new game as well as the previous Modern Warfare title. Even though there’s plenty of new content, including weapons and the Rebirth Island map, but it hasn’t gone down well with every player. There are still complaints about weapons being too overpowered, attachments not working, as well as other general bugs that come from combining the two games. Additionally, there’s also a new Gulag – with the showers of the Verdansk prison being done away with, and being replaced by a smaller version of Nuketown. However, players have got complaints about that too. With the Modern Warfare showers, players had the same angles on each side, but that’s now changed with Nuketown. It’s now asymmetrical, with more angles to look out for, and Warzone players believe it favors the side where you can shoot through what would be the Welcome to Nuketown sign. Read More: Is the DMR still OP in Warzone? – “40% of my gulag deaths are from my enemy camping behind the car ruins,” posted Redditor SamirDando, complaining about the head glitch the car gives players who spawn that side. “That’s not what the gulag was originally designed to do. This needs a change.” Others agreed, adding: “Yeah can’t stand it. The damn car head glitch” and offering up possible changes. “Remove the car, change the plywood to concrete so it can’t be shot through and it’d be alright,” said another. Yet, one player pointed out that it’s not just the head glitch that’s the problem, but how much room you have to work with. “In my opinion, the problem with car spawn isn’t just the head glitch, but also the fact that you can see two lanes from spawn,” noted Reddit user ReADropOfGoldenSun, “I think this could all be fixed if they moved the cardboard just a bit over so you can’t see the middle right off spawn.” Read More: Bizarre Warzone bug doesn’t show zone circle – Other players, however, didn’t agree at all, claiming that are easy ways to get around the campers – either by simply hopping up on the balconies on the houses or using grenades. It seems unlikely that the devs would make major changes to the gulag, unless their data shows that it’s completely broken and ruining the game. That might happen at a later date, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Warzone players claim meta attachment was a huge “mistake” – Dexerto

Warzone players claim meta attachment was a huge “mistake” ActivisionWarzone players are tired of one of the battle royale’s most-used meta attachments, calling it a “problem” right now. Over the last few years, Warzone has had it’s fair share of crutch attachments and must-use loadouts. There was a time back in Verdansk when you’d find it impossible to win if you didn’t use the KAR98K and the Grau. Fast forward to Modern Warfare 3 and the devs have tried to shake things up on that front – especially with regards to attachments. The battle royale now has Aftermarket Parts, with some designed to totally change a gun’s profile and others being a small wink to days gone by. One of those Aftermarket Parts – the JAK Glassless optic – has pretty much become a must-use for assault rifles. If you’re not using that or the Corio Eagleseye 2.5x, you’re slacking. However, players are becoming bored of the JAK Glassless. One player, Redditor turboS2000 called it a “mistake” because of its boost to firing aim stability. “Adding firing aim stability to this optic was a huge mistake in my opinion as it’s made pretty much everything else useless. Making some attachments too strong really hurts variety,” they said. “Firing aim stability as a stat was a mistake. Every gun should come with max firing aim stability and it shouldn’t even be a thing,” another agreed. Others followed a similar path in blasting the devs for making “laughable” decisions when it comes to stats. “It should be a lesson learned for the devs. Between inconsistent recoil plots and variations in gun behavior, with visual clutter on top of that, it makes for a miserable overall experience,” another added. It is interesting to see that some Aftermarket Parts have gone from being “pointless” to being totally overpowered.

  • Warzone players claim it’s “unplayable” after MW3 launch – Dexerto

Warzone players claim it’s “unplayable” after MW3 launch ActivisionWarzone players have claimed that the battle royale is now “unplayable” in the wake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s launch, and they’re hoping it’s addressed sooner rather than later. After months of waiting, the Call of Duty community finally got its hands on Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, but things have been a little mixed. The campaign of the MW3 reboot has been panned, and the game has received the lowest review score of the franchise. On the multiplayer side of things, players have enjoyed the return to the maps from MW2 (2009), but also criticized the skill-based matchmaking system yet again. If you’re more inclined to just play Warzone, however, you’ve got to wait until December for MW3 to take over. That wait, some players believe, has created a bit of turbulence and made it tough to play the battle royale in its current state. Warzone players furious about state of battle royale amid MW3 launch With much of the CoD devs’ focus being overtaken by Modern Warfare 3, Warzone fans have been left a little dismayed. Many have claimed it’s “unplayable” due to a recent round of server issues. There has been constant lag while moving about the map, with players being pulled all over the place by the hiccups. “Trying to have a few games tonight & the packet burst is just horrendous. Not even remotely playable,” said one player. “More than likely they’re just pouring all their resources into MW3. It’s what they do,” another added. “They really f*cking up everything,” commented another. Some added that the issues have gone further than lag, with the performance of their games dropping off a cliff. “I lost like -40 FPS on Al Mazrah and the MWII benchmark is showing decreased performance too. Went from 190 avg FPS to 145-150 on 13700K & 3080Ti,” one noted. Others noted that MW3 has also had similar server issues, and it’s likely an influx of new players onto a new batch of servers causing headaches. Hopefully, things get ironed out sooner rather than later.

  • Warzone players claim it’s “too hard” for casuals as players walk away – Dexerto

Warzone players claim it’s “too hard” for casuals as players walk away ActivisionWarzone players are seemingly laying their weapons down for good as they walk away from the game, with some claiming the Call of Duty battle royale has become too difficult for casual players. Activision and Raven Software took the world by storm in March 2020, with the release of Warzone. While it offered intense CoD thrills initially, the game has been on a troubled path as glitches, bugs, and general instability continues to ruin the experience for hardcore and casual players alike. Warzone had a “great run” but it seems the road is coming to an end for many players, as they’re abandoning the game for good. Warzone’s difficulty has “gone way up” Hundreds of Warzone players gathered in the game’s subreddit, declaring that the game isn’t “fun and fresh anymore.” Redditor Sad-Abbreviations expressed how the “Vanguard integration” has “completely killed the game” for them. Bugs and glitches have unfortunately become commonplace, while players such as YourMumsPal believe the recent update has shifted the game’s balance significantly. “Ever since the update on Thursday [January 13, 2022] we are getting slaughtered constantly. I’m finding the same difficulty in solo games” they added. Redditor gfyans was hoping Caldera could be more than a flash in the pan for Warzone. “Verdansk got real boring for me near the end, and I was hoping Caldera would reignite my passion for the game. “We’d probably abandon Warzone completely” they added, noting an alternative game with more polish is likely to steer them away. However, even other battle royales don’t seem as friendly to new players, with Redditor Damien23123 noting: “If Apex wasn’t utterly brutal for newer players I’d probably be playing it instead.” Combined with a lackluster map in the form of Caldera, some players are turned off by an “insanely hard” skill ceiling: “The issues and problems with the game currently, combined with the very divisive map…You’re probably facing only the most hardcore of sweats at this point.” Players clearly want change, but only time will tell if things turn around.

  • Warzone players sick of “miserable” lobbies as they’ve had enough already – Dexerto

Warzone players sick of “miserable” lobbies as they’ve had enough already Activision BlizzardCall of Duty Warzone players have been calling out the “miserable” state of the battle royale right now as they’re looking at other ways to bring back the fun. While the formula of a battle royale game is simple – you want to be the last person or team standing – there have been a few different takes over the years. Some games have been a bit more hardcore than others, with many just being arcadey and a way to kill some time. Warzone has, pretty much always, fit in the middle. You have the ability to go all-out and play tactically, but you also have the ability to just mindlessly run and gun without much consequence as well. Over the last few years, players have complained about things getting a little too hardcore and ‘sweaty’, with campers and overly tactical players killing their enjoyment of the game. Well, that’s continued into Modern Warfare 3. MW3 players claim Warzone is “miserable” right now A number of players have voiced their concerns about how the battle royale feels right now, claiming they’re no longer having fun and are looking for other games to play. “These lobbies are miserable. Wtf is going on with this game? I’d rather go to work than play this game,” complained one fan. “Game is just bad compared to Warzone 1 OG Verdansk days,” another added. “Last time I played was on 31th of december. Not even a full month. I think too much is happening during the match and a lot of it is decided by pure luck,” commented another. “Agree – Very similar experience. Laserbeam SMGs. TTK is f*cked. Cheating is rampant. It’s a mess,” said another. Some players argued that they’re having more fun than ever, but noted that they’re newer to Warzone than some longtime veterans who pine for the return of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. There is always going to be that nostalgia factor and wanting the game to be how it was when you enjoyed it at your peak, but maybe there is some scope for changes from the devs as well.

  • Warzone players claim it’s impossible to recreate the “magic” of Verdansk – Dexerto

Warzone players claim it’s impossible to recreate the “magic” of Verdansk ActivisionFour years after its launch, Warzone’s current form has left some fans wanting a return to the old days. 2020 marked a big year in Call of Duty‘s twenty-year run, as the FPS saw the addition of Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale. That period from the release of Warzone to Black Ops Cold War later that year is considered the high point of Warzone, as it was when the game was at its simplest before integration and new mechanics “convoluted” the gameplay loop. In the years since its launch, four for those counting at home, Warzone’s player base has certainly been left wanting more, as fans miss the days of old. CoD player lobbies for a re-release of Warzone In a post shared to the titular battle royale’s subreddit, a CoD player argues that bother iterations of Warzone have been complete failures for portions of the player base. They then lobby for a well-documented opinion: “It’s time to cut their losses and just re-release Warzone.” “They can’t recreate the magic, they can’t make a new version because they don’t know what they did to make it great the first time.” For those familiar with the battle royale, OP’s sentiments shouldn’t be a surprise. Warzone evolved into a complex entity as new titles were released, with the developers shuffling to integrate new mechanics into the title. This pipeline forced Activision’s hand to create a sequel that launched alongside Modern Warfare 2. However, the “sequel” itself hasn’t been a favorite among fans. With that in mind, some players have accepted the reality of the current state of the game. “I’ve got bad news – you will never be able to recreate that ‘magic’ of first playing Warzone. Verdansk hit at the perfect time both in what we’ve played before and the conditions of the world,” one player reflected. Others shared similar opinions while reflecting on the constant state of integration. New additions such as weapons have players feeling thrown off, as some guns “feel” better than others. “I think so much of it has to do with how weapon balancing and gameplay feel when it isn’t just Infinity Ward working on CoD. Just my opinion, but once the other studios get in there the gun suffers a lot.” Warzone celebrated its fourth anniversary, with Season 3 promising a new weapon skin to commemorate the milestone.

  • Warzone players claim Heartbeat Sensor is still ruining games despite huge nerf – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Heartbeat Sensor is still ruining games despite huge nerf ActivisionNothing is better for camping in Warzone than a Heartbeat Sensor. Despite its nerf in the Pacific update, players are still complaining that this piece of equipment is ruining the fun. The new era of Warzone came out on December 8, bringing a huge overhaul to the battle royale. With over 40 weapons in the game, a Dead Silence nerf, Stopping Power removed, and more, players are still upset about one change. The Heartbeat Sensor was part of a list of nerfs made but the community still feels that this tiny screen is making Warzone worse. Warzone community not happy with Heartbeat Sensor nerf The Heartbeat Sensor got a heavy nerf on December 8 as it saw its ping time increase from 3 seconds to 6. Despite this being labeled a “nerf” the Warzone community is still annoyed with this and thinks the game is better off without it. The Reddit thread is full of players complaining about the piece of technology. One person said, “I shouldn’t be able to fly around a corner and beam an enemy because a piece of equipment showed me exactly where they were.” People think that Warzone should be more tactical and force players to rely on their gun skill, not a mini UAV that reveals where you are on the map. Another player has completely swapped away from normal BR modes and is playing the Vanguard exclusive one. “Hated the Heartbeat Sensor meta. But enjoying playing Vanguard Royale so much without it. F**k that free pocket UAV.” For now, if you are tired of the sensor then Vanguard owners can hop into the exclusive playlist that only has items and weapons from the current CoD. Alternatively, you can just run Ghost on every loadout and remain hidden from the,

  • Warzone players claim hacking and cheating is getting worse again in Season 2 – Dexerto

Warzone players claim hacking and cheating is getting worse again in Season 2 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players report that hacking is starting to get worse again in the battle royale, even after the game’s developers said they are taking a hardline approach to cheaters. Despite Warzone’s incredible popularity, the game’s first year has been unquestionably marred by the prevalence of hacking and cheating. Players and content creators have criticized publishers Activision for their failure to sufficiently deal with the problems. Back in February, the triple-A company confirmed 60,000 accounts had been banned and, despite the backlash from the community, the game does have an anti-cheat system in place to identify and ban players using hacks and other exploits. Many, though, suggested that 60,000 was actually a minute amount given the number of Warzone players there are – confirmed to be upwards of 75 million. The insufficient nature of the ban wave appears to have frustrated the community, with many claiming that the hacking issues are only worsening in the game’s second season, which dropped at the end of February. One player, Redditor ATK42, claimed that wall hackers are “ubiquitous”, and cheaters are growing “more and more common every day”. Read More: 6 changes Warzone needs to make in year two – “It’s insane how many cheaters there are and how blind people seem to be at how problematic the cheating is especially at higher MMRs,” they said. “When I play in Diamond 3 or better lobbies, there is ALWAYS a wallhacker now. Legit every single game.” “Please do something about the hackers,” another said. “This is ridiculous. Just got killed by two hackers in quads, they won with about 60 kills between them. They’re new levels (new accounts) and are clearly aim-botting and possibly wall hacking. The calls are not necessarily new, but many echoed the suggestions that the frequency with which they encounter cheaters has worsened in Season 2. Many are still expecting more from Activision, especially given their status as one of the world’s most foremost video game publishers. Whether the renewed calls actually lead to change is another matter, but players’ frustrations are growing and will continue to do so if Warzone’s issues continue to worsen.

  • Warzone players claim every lobby is filled with hackers again – Dexerto

Warzone players claim every lobby is filled with hackers again Infinity WardCall of Duty players are claiming that Warzone is full of hackers yet again, despite Activision’s latest efforts to target the popular third-party cheating sites. [jwplayer RexLZ1JW] Warzone has seen incredible success since it was introduced on March 10, attracting plenty of top personalities from other titles to start creating content around the new Call of Duty battle royale. However, as with many online multiplayer titles, one of the biggest challenges facing Warzone is the number of cheaters that have been plaguing matches, which has even led to Activision taking legal action against some of the supplying sites. Hackers back in droves in Warzone After the Call of Duty publishers initially shut down some of the cheats that had been plaguing the game, there appeared to be a big drop-off in the number of hackers in Warzone lobbies. Unfortunately, this did not last for too long, with many players now reporting that cheaters have returned in the latter half of Season 6 and are ruining lobbies for players yet again. Over the last few days, there have been multiple posts on the Warzone subreddit, similar to the one from u/CivChris, claiming that there has been an increased number of cheaters in their lobby. “I can’t count the number of times in the last week where I’ve had a game ruined by a hacker,” they explained, suggesting that there were many different cheats being used, “A lot of the time it’s not even obvious hacking like aimbot, it’s red boxing.” PS4 Warzone player u/rolandassassin added that he had encountered hackers in back-to-back games after enabling crossplay and claimed that the PC servers had become “aimbot heaven.” While it is unclear what could be causing this apparent rise in cheaters, it was rumored that one of the well-known cheating sites has made a return after it was previously affected by a ban wave. The Modern Warfare devs have issued multiple ban waves during the year and provided fans with updates on their progress, however, with the problem arising once again, players are calling for the issue to be addressed once again.

  • Warzone players claim controversial Gaia skin’s rework is an “absolute abomination” – Dexerto

Warzone players claim controversial Gaia skin’s rework is an “absolute abomination” Call of DutyThis week saw the return of the controversial Gaia skin in Warzone, and even though it’s been fixed somewhat, players are still disgusted by it. The Gaia skin came to the game back in September, before the release of last year’s MW3, and quickly drew criticisms from the community. Due to the negative reception, the skin was removed and underwent some reworking. Developers released back into the game this week. While the community feels that it’s at least better, many still think the skin itself is hideous to look at. Warzone fans think the Gaia skin is awful After the skin returned, a player posted to the Warzone subreddit, asking: “So, GAIA is back in the game, what ya think about the change?” They added an image of the new skin to give everyone perspective on how it looks. The response was less than positive, with many players not happy about the way skin looks in general, outside of its fixes. “You definitely see her better now. The skin remains ugly af,” is one comment that spoke to this feeling. When the skin originally came out, the coloring was much darker and there were a lot of spots that were see-through. This made it incredibly difficult to see in the game, and players labeled it a “pay-to-win” cosmetic. Now, that part of it seems to have been helped at least, with one user saying: “Glad he’s been made to wear a black jump suit.” This is in reference to the black sections that now fill where it used to be see-through. But the community still feels the skin is ugly, in general, and don’t seem to want it in the game anyway: “Still a stupid skin but now I can at least SEE how stupid it is ingame…” It’s a better situation, but players remain down on the skin and don’t think it has a place in the game’s rotation.

  • Warzone players claim constant meta updates make it “impossible” to have fun – Dexerto

Warzone players claim constant meta updates make it “impossible” to have fun ActivisionWhen playing Warzone, finding the right weapon is vital to success. But with the meta constantly updating in new patches, players are claiming it’s “impossible” to enjoy the game. With Vanguard’s integration for Pacific, the Warzone armory is bigger than ever. There are well over 100 primary weapons in the game that people can customize to make the best loadout possible. Recently, the devs have increased the frequency of their updates, nerfing and adjusting some of the title’s best weapons at a faster rate than ever. While this may seem like a great balance change, casual-leaning gamers are complaining that this is sucking the fun out of Caldera. Warzone players tired of frequent meta updates One of the best feelings in Warzone is getting the victory screen after battling it out with 149 other players, but doing that can be hard without the proper weaponry. This Reddit post by ‘JMGTR’ looks at Warzone from a casual player’s point of view and how annoying it gets with the meta shifting every week. If they are only playing two hours a day it could take nearly half the week to unlock the “good” attachments. But by that time, there could be a new update released that shakes up the meta again. JMGTR said, “Spend the next few nights grinding…. Finally, you unlock all the attachments needed for a Warzone build… to discover it’s now a BB-gun and something else you don’t have is broken instead.” This means that a whole week can be wasted to get the best loadout possible, just for Warzone to switch up and then the grinding pattern is repeated over and over all without ever dropping into Caldera. The majority of people think the easy fix for this would be making weapons level up faster. There was a glitch that allowed for quad XP, but the devs disabled it right away – disappointing players. Overall, players just want to see fewer updates come out so they can enjoy the game again by using the same weapons as everyone else, without the worry of having to grind for attachments nightly.

  • Warzone players claim Caldera is “slowly dying” following Rebirth Island update – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Caldera is “slowly dying” following Rebirth Island update ActivisionWarzone players have claimed that Caldera is “slowly dying” following the Season 2 Reloaded update, with consistent criticism of the Pacific environment now coupled with new affection for Rebirth Reinforced. It has now been months since Caldera replaced Verdansk as Warzone’s base battle royale environment, with the Ukrainian-inspired suburbs swapped out for a sun-soaked Pacific Island home to jungles and military bases. Despite the anticipation that predicated Caldera’s release, many have come to consider it inferior to its predecessor, pointing to the overall flow and some “confusing” decisions from Raven. That appears to have been cemented by the Season 2 Reloaded update, which overhauled a number of Rebirth Island POIs to make Rebirth Reinforced, a map that now features heavily on the game’s playlist menu. Pointing to these changes and the encouragement given to players to drop into Rebirth, Redditor WolfHoundJP asked whether it proves Caldera is “slowly dying”, a feeling some players have expressed in recent weeks. Attached to the question was an image, showing the overwhelming majority of Warzone’s featured playlists encouraging players to drop into Rebirth Island, as opposed to Caldera. A common response was that Rebirth Island is simply the theme of the recent Rebirth Reinforced event and, with its POIs altered, Raven want to encourage players to drop in. However, others countered this by asking why the battle royale’s main map is not the focus of content. Plenty also welcomed the Rebirth focus, criticizing Caldera in the process. One said: “I absolutely cannot stand Caldera. I liked the old map better than Rebirth. But something about this new one, I cannot see sh*t. I have a $3k PC and I just cannot see f**king sh*t. I refuse to play on Caldera and since it’s been out I’ve maybe spent 2 hours on it. It’s honestly terrible.” The Rebirth Island changes have, thankfully, gone down well with the majority of the player base. It means that fans who are not satisfied with Caldera can still invest their time into Warzone ahead of its sequel, thought to be releasing late in 2022.

  • Warzone players claim Caldera is in “great depression” after silent cash nerf – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Caldera is in “great depression” after silent cash nerf Activision / PixabayAfter Call of Duty: Warzone reverted the loadout change on February 3, players are claiming that cash is much rarer to find in Caldera. Now, fans are going so far as to call this period Pacific’s “great depression.” Accompanying the changes to terrain with the move to the Pacific, Warzone also experienced an influx of cash. On a bigger map, with more-expensive UAVs, players noticed that they were finding a lot more money on the ground. Then, on January 11, Raven Software explained that they intended to nerf that boosted cash flow. Less than a month later, following an update that reverted the loadout purchasing restrictions, it seems that they’ve silently followed through on those intentions. Now that players are able to buy their loadouts whenever they want, people are acutely aware of how much money they’re finding. Taking to social media to complain, they’re now claiming that cash is impossible to find. Warzone players claim cash is nerfed after loadout change The money got NERFED. I’m talking Caldera is going through the great depression rn — Speros (@Speros_OG) February 3, 2022 As streamer Speros tweeted, Caldera’s cash seems to have been nerfed. Going even further, he said that “Caldera is going through the great depression.” The timing of this seems to suggest that the change in money availability was done alongside the devs’ loadout revert. As Speros elaborated, “the loadout change is still a W” despite the nerfed cash. Seeing numerous players reporting that money in Caldera was heavily nerfed despite not being in today’s patch notes. 😞 — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) February 3, 2022 Others have corroborated this realization that money is no longer as bountiful as it once was. ModernWarzone tweeted on February 3 that “many players” are experiencing this financial drought, “despite not being in today’s patch notes.” If this is true, and not simply a psychological effect of now valuing money more, then it feels like a developer compromise. In the Pacific, they tried to restrict loadout purchases until the public drop – now, they’re allowing them to be bought earlier, but seem to be making it harder to find the funds.

  • Warzone players claim BR is “filled” with cheaters again after Season 3 Reloaded – Dexerto

Warzone players claim BR is “filled” with cheaters again after Season 3 Reloaded ActivisionWarzone players have claimed that the battle royale has experienced a “heavy increase” in the number of cheaters following Season 3 Reloaded, despite RICOCHET anti-cheat still being in full force. While Warzone has undeniably been a major success for Activision, it has struggled to eradicate cheating and hacking as decisively as has been required. RICOCHET anti-cheat system dropped back in December 2021 and, while most players agree it has improved considerably since then, they also agree there is a long way to go. In particular, a number of players have criticized the situation following the Season 3 Reloaded update, claiming that the prevalence of cheaters has worsened significantly. One player, ‘LeonardMH‘, asked what the cause for the recent uptick in cheaters could be, claiming they have encountered more hackers in recent matches. “Has anyone else noticed a heavy increase in the number of cheaters lately?” they said. “In the past 2-3 days I have played just a few games and in about half of them I have died to obvious rage-hackers. We’re talking Iron sight FAL quick snap headshots, very obvious cheats. I haven’t seen this kind of problem since Verdansk, what is going on?” Another, ‘ruizroy6‘, agreed that they are getting more and more common. “The game is filled with cheaters once again,” they said. “There is no other option but to stop playing this game. Encountered over 5 cheaters 5 different games and we had to call it after the last one. Not fun.” Plenty of players echoed the comments, suggesting that RICOCHET needs to do more and that Activision need to stay vigilant to ensure the cheaters do not remain this prevalent moving forwards. We’ve seen cheater numbers peak and fall in the past, so here’s hoping the pattern repeats itself again as soon as possible.

  • Warzone players claim big aiming change will “reduce skill gap” with slower TTK – Dexerto

Warzone players claim big aiming change will “reduce skill gap” with slower TTK ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone fans have hit out at Raven Software, claiming they’re trying to reduce the skill gap with their planned change to the battle royale’s Time-To-Kill. With Call of Duty: Vanguard taking over Warzone, many fans had high hopes for the battle royale as it moved away from Verdansk. However, things have been a little bumpy in the early goings of the integration. Raven Software has, already, dropped a few updates to get things ironed out – including tweaking a few weapons, trying to address bugs with the new map, as well as a few other things. They’ve also revealed that they plan to raise the TTK of all guns by lowering weapon ADS (Aim Down Speed) – a change that has been lambasted by Warzone pros and content creators alike. Some fans have also weighed in, claiming it’s a move to slower the skill gap between players. The claim was put out there by Redditor DefunctHunk_COD, who suggested that they should have gone down the route of increasing health ala Iron Trials, rather than messing with ADS. “This (change) benefits the players that play slower and more defensively, i.e. those sitting inside the building, pre-aiming the corner. Camping and pre-aiming will become much more dominant,” they said. “This is just another step in lowering the skill ceiling and catering towards lower-ability players.” Other fans agreed with the take, especially in that it’ll increase camping and more long-range fights. “They should just keep the game as is. There’s no need to make any of these ridiculous changes,” added one. “At the end of the day, the vast majority of the player base is not good at the game. They are average at best and it’s a business decision to cater to your biggest market,” commented another. Some fans suggested that the change will encourage players to run more sniper and hip-fire weapon classes, as they’re likely to benefit from the changes. Of course, not everyone agrees, pointing to the fact that Raven had previously stated that they wanted to increase TTK at some point. “They already did it once, with a major balancing update that nerfed the TTK of a ton of different guns,” one fan said. “They’re clearly interested in increasing TTK, which raises the skill gap overall.” It remains to be seen as to how these changes will shake out, but clearly, some fans are concerned.

  • Warzone players claim battle royale is a “mess” after Season 2 Reloaded update – Dexerto

Warzone players claim battle royale is a “mess” after Season 2 Reloaded update ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are lamenting the battle royale as ‘unplayable’ once again, claiming that the recent updates have adjusted matchmaking and even that “casual players can no longer enjoy this game”. Despite its overwhelming success and the millions who still drop into Caldera on a daily basis, Warzone is far from a flawless game. Its transition form a suburban battle royale in Verdansk to a sun-soaked Pacific arena has been fraught with issues, including invasive bugs and glitches and the frustrating resilience of cheats. However, plenty of Warzone Pacific fans are claiming the game has changed for the worse following the release of the Season 2 Reloaded patch, which dropped on March 23. Amongst other things, the update made major changes to Rebirth Island, Warzone’s smaller BR environment. Some players, though, claim that matchmaking and the quality of games themselves has taken a nosedive. One player – u/T7MMU – asked why every Rebirth lobby has “turned into a pro gamer tournament”. They continued: “Since the new map [changes], Rebirth has been on a different planet in terms of sweaty players to the point I’m convinced I can’t possibly be in the right lobbies. [It] feels like there are double the amount of players in a lobby, getting 3rd partied every other gun fight.” They were not the only one to point out a change, either. Another player commented that, following the Season 2 Reloaded update, their lobbies feel as though they have been “shadow-banned” because of the quality of the players they are put into lobbies with, as well as having 2-3 “blatant hackers” per match. A third player echoed the sentiment, suggesting the game is no longer enjoyable for casual players. “Rebirth is now full of sweaty players and Caldera is a mess,” they said. “[I] don’t know what happened but the game is just unenjoyable.” There was no mention of matchmaking changes in the March 23 patch notes, but a number of players have indicated a tangible difference in their lobbies following its implementation. We will, of course, update you if Raven make any comments on the apparent downtick in match quality.

  • Warzone players claim Battle Hardened buff in Season 5 is broken – Dexerto

Warzone players claim Battle Hardened buff in Season 5 is broken ActivisionBattle Hardened has been on the receiving end of some changes in Warzone Season 5, but players are already questioning if it’s been updated at all. For the longest time, players have questioned the disorientating capabilities of Stun Grenades as many have believed that they are too effective during a game of Warzone. This is where Battle Hardened is supposed to come into effect. The Perk originally offered 50% resistance to Stun Grenades, whereas it’s now providing 80% resistance following the raft of Warzone Season 5 changes. However, several players have already complained that this staggering new resistance percentage is not even remotely accurate. Not only that, but one player showed off an example of how Battle Hardened seems to react to Stun Grenades at present. Battle Hardened Perk not working in CoD Warzone Season 5? The Equipment meta has certainly fluctuated since Warzone’s debut with various devices being the go-to for most players. Heartbeat Sensors were king until they were nerfed in Warzone Pacific, and Stims have also been another sound option too. Stun Grenades though, provide extreme debilitating effects that can allow one player to kill a stunned player with very little fightback. But even with the new and improved Battle Hardened Perk equipped, Reddit user digital_zero showed that it might not be worth swapping to it anytime soon. In their video, the user, who claimed to have Battle Hardened equipped, was being shot, and after reloading and regaining themself, they were suddenly pelted with a Stun Grenade — disabling them in the process. Luckily, they were able to scramble and get into cover, and whilst we don’t know what happened after, the impact made by the Stun Grenade was telling. The OP declared that: “The Battle Hardened buff against stuns is not working,” and elaborated further: “I grabbed a loadout with Battle Hardened at the start of the clip and then was very shortly after stunned, so I figured it was a good demonstration of the buff not working as intended. The stun in this case ended up lasting ~3.5 seconds despite having the perk, which I don’t think even matches the previous intended value of ~50% reduction.” A few users thought that the update to the Perk was coming in-season, but nowhere in the patch notes does it say that that’s the case. This led to one player saying: “Well, it would be far from the first time that the patch notes didn’t match the patch.” The evidence does seem to be quite damning, and with the news that another Serpentine nerf is coming mid-season, maybe Battle Hardened hasn’t quite received the update just yet — stay tuned.

  • Warzone players claim annoying hit reg issues are taking over Rebirth Island – Dexerto

Warzone players claim annoying hit reg issues are taking over Rebirth Island ActivisionSince the arrival of Caldera in Warzone, players have been reporting poor hit reg and that bullets that should be hitting aren’t. Now, they are claiming that it is infesting Rebirth Island and ruining matches. The Pacific era introduced a numerous amount of changes such as a new map, anti-cheat, weapons, and more. With more changes on the way in Season 2, players are still losing their minds that hit reg isn’t on that list. Hit registration (hit reg) is a term for shooting games that means bullets that are fired are hitting the target and registering. However, since Caldera came into play there have been complaints about it not working and now it appears to be happening to Rebirth Island players too. Warzone Rebirth Island players report bad hit reg In a Reddit post by ‘TooTerribleToBeGood’ the user highlights their gameplay where they are unable to kill this enemy despite their crosshair being spot on. Read More: CoD leakers tease Warzone 2 map and location – From the clip, you can see that they fire multiple rounds into this opponent but nothing is giving. Another person walks behind the doorway and those bullets hit. But still, the other player was able to avoid the bullets. According to multiple Redditors in the thread, this has been happening to many of them as well. One player said, “This has been going on to me for a week or so now, seems like something is off with hit detection though, rather than individual players.” Another user thought it was just another issue of playing on the console. “I thought it was just an Xbox issue but it started happening to me last night.” There were at least 10 more comments about other people having the same issue in Warzone’s Rebirth Island. With the map set to receive more attention in Season 2, fans are hopeful that this gets fixed very soon.

  • Warzone players claim aim assist and speed hacking have “broken” the game – Dexerto

Warzone players claim aim assist and speed hacking have “broken” the game ActivisionWarzone players are in a bad way after the emergence of aim assist and speed hacking has “broken” the game for them. Despite its popularity, Warzone has seen its fair share of issues appear, ranging from game instability to players cheating in their matches. And while Activision has taken action to crack down on this behavior, the company has been unable to stop all of it from happening. Because of this, the Warzone community thinks it has gotten out of control, specifically with the emergence of speed hacking and powerful aim assist that has made it hard to play. Warzone players blame speed hacking for ruining the game The conversation can be found on the COD Warzone subreddit, where a clip was shared, titled: “Speed hackers are no match for aim assist.” The clip shows the player being attacked by others using speed hacking, resulting in the player combating this with aim assist to pull off the kills and survive. For context, speed hacking is when a player uses a third-party program to let their character move faster than they normally would, as can be seen in the clip. While the post itself was made as more of a jab at speed hacking than it is at aim assist, the responses have used the chance to discuss how rampant both of these issues are. As one user puts it: “Ladies and Gentleman – Modern gaming.” Many are pointing to the fact that while the speed hacking is from an outside source, the aim assist is in the game naturally and arguably worse. “If aim assist somehow out duals speed hacking, what does that tell you about aim assist…” Other Warzone fans are pointing the finger at Activision for not cracking down on these issues hard enough. “Activision is going to pump out 8 new 2400-3000 blueprints before even acknowledging half of every match is a mix of speed hackers, blatant walls, and soft/rage aimbot.” The fact of the matter is that the Warzone community has grown beyond frustrated with the state of the game, and has begun to move on to other titles.

  • Warzone players choose 4 Caldera areas that are perfect for new POIs – Dexerto

Warzone players choose 4 Caldera areas that are perfect for new POIs Pexels / ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players aren’t quite satisfied with their new home in the Pacific. Instead, fans have picked out four sparsely populated areas that would be the perfect locations for new POIs. While the most typical complaints about Warzone Pacific are about game bugs and exploits, there is some constructive criticism, as well. Namely, a lot of conversation has centered around how the Caldera map flows. FaZe Swagg claimed its environments take ‘less skill’ to fight in than Verdansk and fans have generally flamed the map’s scarce, “boring” center. The critique is essentially that Caldera’s most interesting POIs are scattered around the outskirts, while the middle is devoid of much excitement and variety in gunfights. So, a player has picked out four spots that would be perfect for new locations. Warzone fans pick 4 Caldera spots for new POIs As Redditor ‘Dull-Caterpillar3153’ posted, there are four distinct areas of Caldera that could fit new POIs. Two are unsurprisingly adjacent to Peak: a northern one between Peak and Docks and a southeastern one in the triangle between Peak, Sub Pens, and Fields. Read more: Frustrating out-of-map glitch spot in Capital is ruining Warzone matches As you can see in Caterpillar’s sketched circles, there are practically no buildings or structures in these areas – they’re essentially open expanses. As anyone who’s fought in those areas can attest to, they’re basically just bushes and mountainous high ground, which don’t make for the most diverse gunfights. The other two spots Caterpillar etches down are to the west. One is the giant hill between Mines and Village, while the other is that lightly populated terrain triangularly seated between Airfield, Mines, and Fields. Despite being on the other side of the map, anyone who’s fought in these areas can tell you that it feels much like the aforementioned locations. When varied structures don’t exist, rotations through tropical hills and shrubbery can feel repetitive. While the replies to Caterpillar’s suggestion aren’t exactly confident in the developers, many do agree. One said that “Caldera needs like 6 or 7 more POIs,” with some hoping that these empty spaces are being saved for new event-based additions in the future.

  • Warzone players celebrate 0.56 K/D bot who killed Swagg in viral clip – Dexerto

Warzone players celebrate 0.56 K/D bot who killed Swagg in viral clip Activision / Twitter, @SwaggCall of Duty: Warzone players are rallying together to celebrate the simplest kill you’ve ever seen. It might not seem like much, but a 0.56 K/D casual on PS4 managed to kill FaZe Swagg and people are loving it. Sitting on a 4.60 career Warzone K/D and at No. 14 on the game’s earnings list, FaZe Swagg is one of the battle royale’s best players. He regularly competes in custom tournaments, but also brings his skills to public lobbies as well. His career K/D is in the top 0.5% of players (according to WZStats), so running into him in Caldera is an easy way for most people to end up in a YouTube montage. All that context explains why the Warzone community is celebrating a simple kill. In a clip that’s now gone viral on Reddit, a player with a… 0.56 K/D was able to take down Swagg. Low K/D Warzone bot manages to kill FaZe Swagg The clip’s title explains that the teammate had a 0.59 K/D, but we’ve since double-checked his stats and he’s actually now at a 0.56. Nonetheless, the teammates put together a clip showing the kill from both POVs. Explaining what happened, ‘cjg799’ said they “couldn’t believe it was really him and of all of the members of our squad that it could’ve been, it was our buddy that’s terrified to move.” In the clip, you can see that they weren’t lying. The player sits in a bush until Swagg comes into view and then manages to down and finish him before the streamer has a chance to react. That is insane.” Just a pregame shootaround for @Swagg 🔥 pic.twitter.com/G6o7rnUnRd — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) June 8, 2021 Given Swagg’s typical gameplay, most would expect someone to need a legit PC and loadout guns to kill him. To the contrary, cjg revealed that the “bot” was using a ground-loot AS44 and was playing on PS4. In response to those laughing about the hype he got, cjg explained that “he didn’t actually do anything crazy but we hype each other up on any kill … we are all pretty casual.” At the time of writing, the clip has over 2,000 upvotes, a number of Reddit awards, and hundreds of comments. Most are celebrating the proof that truly anyone can win a fight with the right positioning, with one even replying “even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.” As for the comments wondering how Swagg got into this type of lobby, which they call a “bot lobby,” cjg and his friends don’t seem concerned. They put those “conspiracy answers” to rest, explaining that “it was 1-2am on the North American west servers so probably a dead point for the game.” And there you have it. Sometimes you don’t need a high-end PC or slide-canceling skills to win a fight. Sometimes just being in the right place at the right time is enough to get the job done.

  • Warzone players call out huge “missed opportunity” with Terminator crossover – Dexerto

Warzone players call out huge “missed opportunity” with Terminator crossover ActivisionThe Warzone Season 4 Reloaded crossover featuring the iconic Terminator franchise sparked a lot of excitement within the community, but players feel that the developers have missed a trick when it comes to weapon Blueprints. Warzone Season 4 Reloaded came with plenty of fresh content for players to enjoy, including the Vargo-S Assault Rifle and the usual host of buffs and nerfs. Arguably the most exciting part of the mid-season update was the introduction of the Terminator series to the game. Not only did players have the recognizable T-800 and T-1000 skins up for grabs, but they’ll also be able to flaunt them in the Terminator-themed Titanium Trials game mode. But despite a wealth of new additions inspired by the classic movies, many Warzone players feel that the developers have missed an opportunity to double down on the crossover. Warzone players rue missed opportunity for Terminator weapon Blueprint Both the T-800 and T-1000 bundles come with a number of Warzone weapon Blueprints that equip your Operator with guns perfect for any killer machine, such as the Liquid Metal SMG or Neural Net Processor Assault Rifle. But with so many iconic moments across the first two Terminator films, fans have come up with another Blueprint idea that the devs decided not to include. Reddit user 420brain01 proposed a Blueprint that would allow players to recreate one of the most classic scenes in the entire franchise. In Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 fends off swarms of police using a minigun, one of the film’s major setpieces. The OP felt that Raven could have brought this moment to life in Warzone with a simple Blueprint. “The biggest missed opportunity, they could have given the FINN LMG A MINIGUN MASTERCRAFT SKIN,” they said. As plenty of replies pointed out, the likeliest reason that Raven steered clear is that the FiNN LMG is from Modern Warfare rather than Vanguard, the entry currently receiving the most support. Others argued that the futuristic Terminator crossover doesn’t fit with Vanguard’s WWII aesthetic at all. “I’m not even against the movie tie-ins, but why not pick movies actually set in the same time period as Vanguard? Captain America, Indiana Jones, etc,” said one reply. Considering Warzone’s current Pacific setting, some even felt that a different Arnie crossover would have worked better, with Predator being the most popular choice. While it’s unlikely we’ll see any extra blueprints added as part of the Terminator event, we’ll have to wait and see if Raven takes this feedback onboard in any future collaborations in Warzone Season 5 or beyond.

  • Warzone players call on devs to make removal of planes from Vanguard Royale permanent – Dexerto

Warzone players call on devs to make removal of planes from Vanguard Royale permanent ActivisionDisgruntled Warzone players have called on developers Raven to make the temporary removal of Fighter and Bomber planes in Vanguard Royale permanent, claiming the game is far better without them. Since Caldera dropped at the back end of 2021, Vanguard Royale has been the main mode for Warzone players to experience. Up to 150 players are thrown into the Pacific environment, with Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War weapons omitted. The mode, following the launch of Season Two on February 14, has also seen the implementation of Fighter and Bomber planes. There were more changes made to Vanguard Royale in early March, seeing health increased by 50 points and UAVs re-added to Buy Stations. Those changes have proved popular – but not as popular as the removal of Fighter and Bomber planes, which also came on March 4. Both planes have been removed as a result of crashing problems, and many players appear to prefer the battle royale without the aerial threats. A Reddit post from Warzone player ‘Nintendo_Pro_03’, called on Raven to leave them out of the mode for good, saying: “Good. Raven, please do not add these vehicles back to Vanguard Royale.” Attached was an image of the Raven announcement that the planes will be removed temporarily taken out of Vanguard Royale. The sentiment proved incredibly popular on Reddit as well, with many players echoing the assertions that they should be left out for good. At the time of writing, the post sits at over 500 upvotes, and plenty of players replied with similar comments. One said: “Hopefully this issue persists until the end of time and they never get added back.” Another commented: “The bug we all needed and deserved.” Naturally, some players disagreed and suggested planes augment the Warzone experience. Regardless of fan opinion, we can still expect Raven to add them back as soon as the problems are identified and fixed.

  • Warzone players call on CoD devs to revert Gulag changes – Dexerto

Warzone players call on CoD devs to revert Gulag changes Infinity WardSome Call of Duty: Warzone fans have spoken out against the latest changes to the Gulag, which introduced a new weapon pool of Assault rifles and SMGs to use for a second chance at survival. Warzone has become incredibly popular since it was launched as a standalone free-to-play title, with this popularity resulting in plenty of memes, many based around the Gulag feature. The Gulag faces players off in a 1v1 gunfight, after their first death, for a chance to earn their way back into the match, although some Warzone fans are unhappy with the changes that were made to the feature on May 18. Modern Warfare and Warzone received a significant update on May 18, with one of the key changes introducing a totally new weapon pool for players to use in the Gulag. The latest change saw the removal of pistols and shotguns from the prison fight, which have now been replaced with ten new weapons, a mix of Assault Rifles and SMGs. However, Warzone players have now called for this change to be reverted. One Call of Duty fan, u/rockstonicjuicemagic, even claimed that the new weapons had “ruined” the Gulag, adding that it requires less effort to win now compared to before and that it was one of the “worst changes” that had been made to Warzone. “The Gulag now has been reduced to left or right lane sniping and wild hipfire shots,” they explained, “the wins mean nothing now and the [losses] are even worse.” They were not the only one unhappy with the Gulag changes, as another player echoed a similar sentiment, and claimed that the Gulag was too small for medium to long-range weapons such as ARs and SMGs. “It makes the Gulag players play way too slow and the winner 95% of the time is whoever sees the other person first,” they shared, calling for changes to be made. They also added some suggestions on how to improve the Gulag, expressing that pistols should be the only weapons available and that equipment such as stun grenades needs to be removed to make it more enjoyable for players. It is unclear what Infinity Ward has planned for the future of the Gulag and its weapon pool, so players will just have to adapt to the new guns if they want to improve their chances of winning. And, there are some players in the opposite camp, who have welcomed this change. With such a popular and mainstream game, it’s nearly impossible for the developers to please everyone.

  • Warzone players call for vital gameplay & movement changes with Vanguard switch – Dexerto

Warzone players call for vital gameplay & movement changes with Vanguard switch ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone fans have got a few changes they’d like to see made once the move to integrate Vanguard happens, even though they might not be the most game-changing of tweaks. With Call of Duty: Vanguard on the horizon, Warzone fans have started to theorize about some of the changes that could be coming to the battle royale. How will World War 2-style guns match the modern-day weapons of Modern Warfare? How will the new map affect things? And just how will three games’ worth of content be able to work in tandem? These are all pretty big questions, but for some players, they just want smaller changes to make things better for each game and follow in the footsteps of some other battle royale titles. Redditor maybe-yeah flagged the notion that, for most players, the biggest headaches revolve around hackers and a stale weapon meta, but for others, they want to be able to scale objects like rocks and barrels. It’s always been a confusing aspect of Warzone, not being able to traverse areas that seem pretty walkable. As a result, others agreed and noted that they want similar under-the-radar changes. “Can we have consistent jump through windows? Some windows you have to crouch, some you can’t get into from one of the directions,” added one fan. “I just want a manual toggle on the gas mask…,”stated another. While others just want to be able to shoot through obstacles that seem shootable. “If someone can shoot us through a railing can we please be able to shoot back and actually get hit markers?! While these quality of life (QOL) fixes would address issues for every platform, there are still some outstanding consoles issues that players want to be fixed. Players want the option to separate the button needed to revive a player and open a door. This has caused plenty of headaches before where players can’t revive their teammates behind a door as the inputs cancel each other add. The switch to Vanguard should bring a huge number of changes so, maybe, some of these will finally be addressed.

  • Warzone players call for simple Fortnite & Apex Legends feature to fix lag issues – Dexerto

Warzone players call for simple Fortnite & Apex Legends feature to fix lag issues Activision / Respawn EntertainmentWarzone players are constantly calling for new features to help improve the game, some of which are already in rival battle royale titles like Fortnite and Apex Legends. Now, they want a region lock to make sure players don’t lag in-game. The BR genre has experienced a boom in the past few years, with many games coming out to compete with the big three of Warzone, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. While these mostly have their own features, it isn’t uncommon to see one of them implement something from another game into their own. For example, the Apex Legends ping system was quickly copied by other developers, not to mention Fortnite adding respawn capabilities. Despite being a very basic feature that most games have, Warzone still lacks one that players are asking for as it will help solve lag issues. Warzone players want Fortnite & Apex Legends to lower ping Something that plays a huge role in gunfights and movement is the latency a player has. The lower that number is, the better connection players will have to the server. Warzone players are asking Activision to add a simple feature that is found in other games like Fortnite and Apex that will allow players to select a region to play in. This will lead to people playing on servers with less lag and could create a better experience. In other games, players are allowed to select a region which will only put them in games that are played on servers in that region. Warzone players are tired of waiting 10 seconds and the game immediately trying to put them in a lobby that would give them over 100 ping. Not only are many players begging for this to be added, Call of Duty League caster Maven also jumped in on the discussion. He said: “For the love of god please look into region lock,” pinging the message in Raven’s direction. @RavenSoftware for the love of god please look into region lock — Clint “”Maven”” Evans (@Maven) September 20, 2021 Another player also complained, saying they invested in better internet but still get put in lag-filled lobbies. The comments go on forever, but they all deliver the same message, they want to play with less lag. There has not been any word on this being added to the game with the integration of Vanguard but it definitely is something that the community wants the devs to look into.

  • Warzone players call for simple Apex Legends map feature to be added – Dexerto

Caldera is Warzone’s main map at present, with many liking it, and some hating it. But players believe that Activision and Raven should put their heads together and find a way to incorporate a simple Apex Legends map feature to improve matters. Maps are an integral part of a battle royale game, because if you only have one map, then it needs to be a good one. Fortnite has managed to keep itself consistently fresh for several years now by changing up its POIs and overhauling the map at times. Whereas Apex Legends has maintained its popularity by having several maps in and out of rotation. Olympus, World’s Edge, Kings Canyon, and Storm Point means players have four different, full-sized maps to enjoy. Warzone has Caldera, a smaller map in Rebirth Island, and ditched Verdansk for Warzone Pacific. But players feel that Warzone could get a much-needed content boost by adopting Apex’s formula. Apex has plenty of maps to go around. Reddit user u/duffwardo posed a very simple question to the Warzone community: “Would adding timed map rotations into Warzone improve the game?” Respawn Entertainment does a good job of having its different maps on rotation, meaning that players shouldn’t really get bored, and helps the game not become stale and repetitive. In terms of full-scale battle royale maps, Caldera is the only one in Warzone. Along with the post’s question, they also posted a picture containing Verdansk, the updated Verdansk 84′ version, and Caldera. Lots of comments were in favor of this suggestion, mainly because it would bring back Verdansk, and many players are constantly campaigning for the map to come back. However, an obvious flaw was discussed with regards to having Caldera, Verdansk, and Rebirth Island all operating simultaneously. “That would be cool, BUT DO YOU REALISE HOW GIGANTIC WARZONE WOULD BE?” The game has attracted a lot of criticism in the past for taking up too much space on console hard drives, leaving room for very little else. Another point to consider is that Raven Software has said before that Verdansk is gone and will not return to the game. As with anything, you can never say never, and the map could always return in some capacity, especially if Warzone’s numbers drop as players crave the OG map. • Warzone players call for Rebirth mode changes to replace “boring” Verdansk – Dexerto

Warzone players call for Rebirth mode changes to replace “boring” Verdansk ActivisionA host of Warzone players have called on Raven to add Rebirth Solos to the Call of Duty battle royale, suggesting that the island map is a “perfect” environment for such a mode. When Rebirth Island was first added to Warzone back in December of 2020, some players were underwhelmed and hoping for a more sizeable environment to be added to CoD’s acclaimed BR. However, since its addition, players have been enjoying the more claustrophobic battle royale, but believe it is still lacking in terms of possible ways to play. Solos have only been available on Rebirth Island for a very short time – as part of the Rebirth Mini Royale Solo playlist. Some players have actually criticized Raven for mode changes being far too frequent on the small map. Now, criticism has focused on Raven’s failure to make Rebirth Solos a permanent Warzone mode. A number of fans of the map have suggested that it is a missed opportunity currently, especially when Solos has been such an ever-present mode in Verdansk. Redditor ‘DefunctHunk‘ was among those calling for its additions, saying: “Rebirth Island Solos should be a thing and it’s surprising that it’s never happened. The map would be perfect for a 10 minute, 40 person Solos mode. Verdansk gets old quickly and Solos on Verdansk is currently infested with cheaters (and has been since the start of Season 4).” At the moment, players who want to play Rebirth Island solo have to drop into Trios or Quads on their own. A quicker, smaller solos battle royale would probably appeal to players – especially given the length and size of a typical BR game on Verdansk. Other Redditors echoed the OP’s suggestions, with one saying: “I think just having the same options as Verdansk would be awesome. Have a “Rebirth Island” playlist with solos, duos, trios, and quads. Whether it’s mini royale or resurgence, I just want options.” Raven could yet shake up the options for Rebirth Island, but it’s a fine balance to strike. What’s clear though, is some players think it’s not capitalizing on its potential for now.

  • Warzone players call for popular Apex Legends feature to be added – Dexerto

Warzone players call for popular Apex Legends feature to be added Activision / Respawn EntertainmentCall of Duty: Warzone players are requesting Infinity Ward add a popular feature similar to one in Apex Legends to enhance their battle royale experience in Verdansk. While Warzone is one of the hottest games available right now, with millions of players migrating to it, that doesn’t mean the battle royale title is perfect. As the genre has grown so much over recent years, they’ve all managed to build off the success of their rivals, including the use of different features that have worked in others. We saw Fortnite introduce the reboot van and a ‘ping’ system to further improve their game, building off of similar features that were so popular in Apex Legends after that launched. Now, fans are calling for another Apex Legends feature to come to Warzone, and it definitely seems an interesting one. For anyone that’s played Apex Legends, you will know that on the World’s Edge map, a train traverses across the entire island, full of loot and making for a useful tool to get from one spot to the next relatively safely. That’s exactly what some Warzone players are requesting now, with the idea first fielded by Thisisopposite on Reddit. They want a train that scales the entire map, with random loot on it, saying that it could be “really interesting to ride the train with your team” and “fight other squads” on your way around. This definitely would be an interesting addition to Warzone, and it’s entirely plausible, too. As a major city, a fully-fledged train – or other public transport – system could easily fit aesthetically into the map and not distract players from the overall game, much like how it works in Apex Legends. Whether this is something Infinity Ward would actually want to do, though, is another question. There’s no doubt they could do it and make it work, but with so many options for movement on the map already, it might not be a feature they’re interested in for now.

  • Warzone players call for night maps return but even more extreme for Halloween event – Dexerto

Warzone players call for night maps return but even more extreme for Halloween event ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have called for the return of the battle royale’s nighttime modes, but they want the spookiness to be ramped up a little higher. When Warzone first burst onto the gaming scene over a year ago, it came with one map – Verdansk. While players enjoyed the larger setting, it didn’t take long before they wanted changes. Over time, the map has been tweaked – both with smaller additions and larger makeovers – and has even been joined in the map pool by the smaller Rebirth Island. One of the most popular changes to the two maps came when nighttime modes were added. In the case of Verdansk, this came through the Haunting of Verdansk – a Halloween event that also brought spooky changes to the map. Well, as players have gotten frustrated with the battle royale’s original map, they want changes, and many want the nighttime mode to come back sooner rather than later. “Warzone peaked at last Halloween, bring Verdansk at night back,” called Redditor Kaaaaos. Their plea was quickly followed by other players. “The old map at night was the best map they’ve had,” said one. “I sucked so hard at that mode but it was my favorite. I hope they bring it back,” added another. Though, if it was to return, some fans would want more terrors lurking in the dark. “Verdansk at night was cool, I was hoping they’d spook it up more than they did,” noted JustThat0neGuy. “They def gotta make it way darker,” another agreed. “Would be cool if they made it really dark like the dark maps in MW,” suggested one fan. Those calls might be answered when Halloween comes back around as leakers have claimed that an ‘All Hallows Eve’ event with a Ghostface skin is in the works. Of course, that’s months away at this point and players might find something else to play in the meantime, so fans will likely just have to be patient for now.

  • Warzone players call for more FARA 83 nerfs after June 30 update – Dexerto

Warzone players call for more FARA 83 nerfs after June 30 update ActivisionOn June 30, Warzone devs Raven Software rolled out a new update, in which the meta FARA 83 was nerfed alongside the new C58 assault rifle and the Nail Gun SMG. The FARA has quickly become dominant in the Warzone meta, a long-range AR that can melt opponents with little to no recoil. While the update has since been rolled back due to “an ongoing issue,” players did get to play around a bit with the newly-nerfed FARA — and quickly found that not much had changed. The patch notes said that the recoil had been “slightly increased” on both the FARA and C58, but the former felt almost entirely like the same gun, leaving players somewhat confused. Similar to the AMAX before it, the FARA has been the go-to AR, but Raven are obviously looking to bring it more in line with the other weapons in its class. While players were happy to welcome a slight FARA nerf to allow a more diverse meta, the update really didn’t change much, and players such as singhthering are calling for an even bigger nerf to the gun. “The “nerf” to the FARA 83 did absolutely nothing to it,” they said. “We need more Raven!” The Reddit post received hundreds of upvotes and comments in support of it, some questioning whether it was even really nerfed. The top comment on the post even suggests that the problem doesn’t lie solely with the FARA itself, but with the idea of a “long-range AR” being part of the game. Joecalone said that “AR recoil across the board should be significantly increased so that they’re great for medium-range but won’t beat out other classes at close/long range.” This, in turn, would make weapon classes such as LMGs better, too, they said. So while the update was rolled back, we should still expect the FARA nerf to be in place when it’s reinstated into the game. The question, though, is whether Raven decides to nerf it further, making the other assault rifles more viable in Verdansk.

  • Warzone players call for Modern Warfare weapon buffs after guns become “unplayable” – Dexerto

Warzone players call for Modern Warfare weapon buffs after guns become “unplayable” ActivisionWith Season 5 of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War right around the corner, some players are calling for the Modern Warfare weapons to be revisited and buffed in the popular battle royale title. It’s fair to say that Season 4 hasn’t fared brilliantly for Warzone, with many players and top creators making the switch to Apex Legends as the hacking problem continues to run rampant. That said, of the players that have stuck around, more problems exist than just the hackers, and one major issue for some is the weapon balancing in the game. While the meta has been far more open throughout the last few seasons, with a number of weapons across all classes viable, there has been a noticeable phasing out of Modern Warfare weapons from the meta. That hasn’t been lost on the most dedicated players and, to those who prefer the classic Modern Warfare guns over those of Cold War, is a serious source of frustration. As explained by TetraVaal2154 on Reddit, and with much support and corroboration from the wider community, the lack of viable Modern Warfare assault rifles has made the game “unplayable.” “Virtually every CW rifle is a ‘meta’ compared to even the best MW rifles,” they explained. “It’s made this game virtually unplayable for someone like myself, that really does not want to use cartoon weapons in a game that originally had a team of people that at least understood basic weapon mechanics while IW were working on the game.” The post picked up several hundred upvotes and awards on Reddit, with a huge swathe of players in agreement. One commenter argued that the formerly-meta Kilo 141 is “literally dead” and needs a buff, while another pointed out that “All MW guns have substantially more recoil, and less mobility” than their Cold War counterparts. Of course, there were some comments disagreeing, but there’s definitely a dedicated base of players that would love to see the OG Warzone guns experience a revival. With CoD 2021 coming out in just a few short months, though, we don’t know how likely that is.

  • Warzone players call for massive vehicle overhaul in Season 1 & Urzikstan map – Dexerto

Warzone players call for massive vehicle overhaul in Season 1 & Urzikstan map ActivisionCall of Duty players are urging the Warzone devs to overhaul vehicles with the impending arrival of Urzikstan, as many want them to feel like the original Warzone vehicles again. When Modern Warfare 3 finally launched in early November, many Warzone players were left annoyed that changes to the battle royale side of things were being put on hold until December 6. Despite their annoyance about things being put on the back burner, players have used that lengthy gap to put forward some ideas for change that they’d like to see. Many have called for less visual clutter as that ruined things in MW2, while others want CoD to copy Fortnite and go completely OG with Verdansk. That latter one is unlikely to happen, especially as we’re already getting a new map in the form of Urzkistan. Though, there is another request on many players’ minds, and it revolves around vehicles. Warzone players want “faster” vehicles on Urzikstan Vehicles have been a staple in Warzone since the very beginning, giving players a different way to traverse the map. However, they have been nerfed over time, mainly because the Bertha trucks were deemed to be too powerful at one point. While players don’t want things to go back to being like Twisted Metal, they do want to be able to get around the new map quickly again. “Huge map requires faster vehicles, agree?” Redditor Diegodinizfsa said. That prompted a wave of support and players agreeing with them. “They should make them faster and easier to move, they completely and utterly nerfed the big Bertha and hatchback,” said one. “This is one of the key things they need to fix is the new warzone isn’t to flop,” another added. “Yeah, I’m thinking Sledge might do something about them eventually. They’ve made heaps of good changes so far and IW seems to have (hopefully) been given the boot from balancing decisions,” another hopeful fan commented. While a host of changes have already been confirmed for the Warzone update, we’ll just have to wait and see how others – including vehicles – shake out.

  • Warzone players call for massive changes as they’re already quitting – Dexerto

Warzone players call for massive changes as they’re already quitting ActivisionA number of Call of Duty Warzone players are quitting the battle royale already, citing a number of major issues that may take a while to get ironed out. When the integration between Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 was first announced, plenty of players were excited as tweaks would be made to the game’s movement, pace of play, and overall health. However, while players have been enjoying the new Urzkistan map, there have been a few lingering issues. Audio is a pretty big one, with players being unable to hear footsteps in critical situations. There are also complaints about the time-to-kill of certain weapons, a rise in cheaters, and some weapons just being unusable. Warzone players already quitting after MW3 update & Season 1 As a result, some players are giving up on the battle royale already and want the Warzone devs to make some pretty big changes in the near future. “No footsteps. 2 shot DMR. Can’t fit through a f*cking window. The list goes on. Even with the new map, improved movement, and fresh weapon pool I can’t find any enjoyment while playing, it’s sad. Won’t be playing until something is done,” said Redditor iiAmTheAnimal, which prompted similar messages from other players. “Decided to stop making excuses for them and just stopped playing,” another said. “Same here,” agreed another. “It is beyond ridiculous stuff like this gets put out by a AAA developer. Let alone the absolutely horrendous reduction in footstep/parachute audio,” another added. Naturally, a number of other players argued the other way too, stating that things aren’t as bad as they have been in the past. “It is way better than Warzone 2 and ever was so yes we will accept it for now. We know it’s not perfect but it’s a hell of a lot better than the old game and closer to WZ1,” said one. “There is no ‘We’ for everyone in this. While a group of players DO experience these bugs, a MASSIVE group of players don’t experience them at all,” another argued. It remains to be seen when some of these issues will be rioned because, as noted, the audio complaints are incredibly valid.

  • Warzone players call for major Plunder changes as mode is “messed up” – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major Plunder changes as mode is “messed up” ActivisionA number of Warzone players have called on developers Raven to implement changes to the long-standing Plunder mode, suggesting it has grown stale and needs a rework. Warzone’s Plunder mode has been a mainstay in the Call of Duty BR, offering players a slightly different experience to the traditional last-man-standing format. Instead of kills and survival, Plunder challenges players to collect as much cash as possible. It utilizes Warzone’s acclaimed currency system, albeit amplifying it to a much greater degree. However, despite its enduring popularity, a number of players are calling for major changes to the mode, suggesting it is getting tired in Warzone’s fifth season. Criticism focused on the speed of the rounds, as well as how formulaic games have become. With the objective simply to loot and accumulate cash, players feel games are becoming stale. Redditor Ace_Caliente said: “The mode has been messed up like this for a long time. It really needs to be reworked. I think it has potential but the basic strategy to winning is just split up and go to different areas that have lots of cash and open boxes then rotate to a new place and continue opening boxes.” A comprehensive and lengthy post from Lma0-Zedong outlined a number of issues with the mode, including XP rewards, spawns, loot pool, quitting teammates, bugs, and even the ending cinematic. “The game mode is still there without changes,” they said, “nothing has changed in a year and it’s getting massively stale. I have no idea why they don’t have at least one dev developing/tweaking this game mode, which is one of the 3 permanent ones and which has a decent player base.” Another post, this time from d4rk5ky, called for longer rounds to be implemented, suggesting doubling the target amount from $1 million to $2 million. It’s no surprise that, after a year and a half of no major changes, players are becoming bored with the limited time mode. While maps and weapons can change, fundamental gameplay and objectives standing still are bound to grow tiresome for some. A number of fans will want a response from Raven in relation to the mode’s issues. Whether they get one is another matter altogether.

  • Warzone players call for major movement nerfs in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major movement nerfs in Season 4 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are calling on developers Raven to make major adjustments to the battle royale’s movement system ahead of Season 4, claiming that it is currently far too easy to maintain your aim while moving. Despite the integration of Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard content in one place, Warzone’s movement system remains almost identical to when the game first launched during the life cycle of Modern Warfare 2019. That means it largely follows the standard Call of Duty formula, with sliding, jumping, and mantling all essential to master if players want to dominate games. However, fans are demanding changes to the game’s movement ahead of Season 4 or, at worst, Warzone 2. In a June 10 Reddit post, player ‘semper_crayons‘ said: “sliding and jumping should significantly reduce accurately.” They captioned their image with: “I know it. You know it.” Currently, players’ aim is not penalized at all when they jump or slide. They are even able to ADS while jumping, making them a considerably harder target to hit but experiencing no downsides in terms of accuracy. Despite it following standard Call of Duty movement logic, the post amassed over 2,000 upvotes as of the publication of this article, indicating widespread support for such changes. One player echoed the OP’s sentiment, saying: “Nobody gives a f**k about realism it’s just not fun to play against people who can kill you with 100% accuracy while never needing to stop.” Some did offer counter-points though, stating that Call of Duty has always been an “arcade” shooter rather than one based on realism. As a result, unrealistic mechanisms that maintain game speed and ensure regular engagements should be accepted, even if they can be slightly overpowered. It’s ultimately up to Raven whether they make changes ahead of Season 4. There is already much in the pipeline and players’ requests for movement overhauls may come slightly too late. That doesn’t mean we won’t see them in a future season or Warzone 2, though.

  • Warzone players call for major LMG buffs after AR meta takeover – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major LMG buffs after AR meta takeover ActivisionWarzone’s Assault Rifles may be at their strongest point since the game’s early days. As a result, some fans are frustrated that LMGs have largely been left behind with few buffs compared to their compact counterparts. There are a few notable LMGs in Warzone’s history, but when compared to the legendary names on the AR side of the game, it’s clear that the weapon class has never really stood up. The Bruen, MG82, and Bren have all had some time in the sun, but they simply don’t carry the deadweight of the rest of the category far enough for fans to feel justified in using them, so now players are calling for a major overhaul. Warzone fans believe LMGs have been overshadowed in a major way The main argument being made in favor of LMGs is that they don’t hold a significant advantage over the AR class in any way despite having the built-in drawbacks of lower movement speed and slow reloads. One passionate fan pointed the blame at Vanguard’s ten attachment system which they claim makes it too easy to cover up a gun’s flaws. As a result, the system makes every AR a viable option while never doing the same for the literal big guns. That same fan went on to ask why anyone would bother lugging around an LMG if the ARs are going to continue to have all of the utility and power they currently do. “The whole LMG class has been dead content outside of 3 months in the last 2 years,” they remarked. The hope of many is that things change with the release of Modern Warfare 2 and that Warzone’s weapon design is restructured in full. If there was ever a time to bring sweeping changes to the meta, a brand new incarnation of the game would certainly be the time to do it, but it remains to be seen if the community will get their wish.

  • Warzone players call for major Grav buff as Season 6 AR is “unusable” – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major Grav buff as Season 6 AR is “unusable” ActivisionWarzone players have called on Raven to significantly buff the Grav assault rifle, with fans calling it “unusable” following its addition to Black Ops Cold War and WZ in Season 6. Since the original integration of Black Ops Cold War into Warzone back in December 2020, fans have become used to all weapons and equipment making their way into the Call of Duty battle royale. That remains the case as we saw the new Grav assault rifle made available in Verdansk following its addition to Black Ops Cold War with Season 6. The Grav is reminiscent of the Famas from previous CoD games; boasting an incredibly high fire rate but pretty serious recoil to match. However, a number of players appear to think the gun is far too weak to be viable, calling for prompt buffs to bring it more in line with the existing ARs. One Redditor – Lifeesstwange – called out Raven for its weaknesses, saying that it never became more viable, even as better attachments were unlocked. “I’ve fully leveled this gun up, thinking there would be a light at the end of the tunnel, but not so,” they said. “It definitely needs a reduction in recoil. Has anyone had any luck with it in Warzone?” Others joined the OP’s campaign, describing it as far weaker than its AR counterparts. User ‘itstheOldman‘ said: “I’m with you… [I] lost a ton of fights when I had the upper hand to the FARA… Pretty hard to use at anything over 40m. Especially on controller.” While another added: “The blue ground loot one has got to be the worst weapon I’ve ever used in this game since release.” However, some players welcomed the fact that a new AR has dropped and has not instantly become a meta weapon in the battle royale. One player said: “It’s about time they add a new weapon that isn’t instantly becoming the meta because it’s over-powered.” Others also suggested that practicing with the weapon makes the recoil far more manageable as you learn the weapon’s kick pattern. Whether it receives a buff remains to be seen, but Raven are sure to analyze all the data available before overhauling any weapon.

  • Warzone players call for major changes in MW3 Season 2 and beyond – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major changes in MW3 Season 2 and beyond ActivisionWarzone players are calling on the devs to make some big changes in Season 2 and beyond, especially when it comes to things like audio, ground loot, and overall health of the battle royale. Despite flying high as one of the top battle royales around, Warzone has had its fair share of issues over the last few years. Hackers, pay-to-win items, and server lag have all contributed to some players ditching the Call of Duty battle royale for something else. There have, of course, been numerous updates over the years to try and address these complaints – especially whenever a new game is released. That’s been the same story with Modern Warfare 3, which has prompted a resurgence for the battle royale. However, it’s not all smooth sailing. Players have been furious with the game’s audio – well, lack thereof – as well as some confusing Time to Kill moments, and, of course, those laggy servers. Warzone players lay out big changes battle royale needs Well, with Season 2 a bit over a month away, players have started urging the devs to consider some changes for then and beyond that – especially when they relate to cleaning up the overall health of the game. “Upgrading the servers should be #1 priority in my opinion but I’m convinced they’ll never fix them,” said one annoyed player, who also called for changes to the ground loot, gas masks, and size of windows on the new Urkzistan map. “Too many self revives, redeploy packs, redeploy flairs, gulag tokens, etc. The line between resurgence/mp and br gets more blurred every year,” another said. “Hit reg is by far the worst in this one. That is probably the most important to fix,” commented another. Other players called for changes to the battle royale’s TTK, but that’s something that is constantly in flux with weapon balancing anyway. It remains to be seen if the calls for change will be heard anytime soon, and while some of them are big asks, they’re not completely unreasonable.

  • Warzone players call for major change that causes armor plates to break – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major change that causes armor plates to break ActivisionWarzone players are constantly debating which aspects of the game should be realistic or not. The flame was ignited once again as players want a change made so armor plates won’t break while in the gas. People in the community constantly go back and forth over which parts of Warzone should be realistic and which shouldn’t be. Keeping in mind that this is a video game, players are arguing that one specific part of the game should be changed. When running in the gas, players will notice that their armor begins to corrode causing them to lose plates, but some members of the community want to see that changed. Warzone players want change with armor plate change while in gas The community is constantly coming up with new ideas to help keep Warzone fresh and enjoyable. One thing that bothers players is the fact that armor plates start to break while in the gas. A Reddit thread posted by ‘Ens_Shn_07’ brought an unusual proposition to the table. They have suggested that armor plates should not break while standing in the gas. While some players immediately start to counter this argument by saying “It’s highly corrosive! So disagree soz.” They are arguing that it is corrosive gas and that is why it deteriorates the plates. However, the majority of players think this change would be great for Warzone. One Redditor said, “Not an unpopular opinion at all. I fully agree.” While another added, “I’m new but I was really shocked when I found out it did. It doesn’t make any sense.” This would change the way Warzone is played and can help players that get caught in a gunfight while rotating, as they can refill to full plates before running out of the gas. The final point is added from a player that questions the realisticness of the game, they said, “Should corrode your guns then. And your equipment. And your ammo. And your reserve plates. And while we’re at it, you should die instantly.” It is unlikely that a major mechanic to the game will get changed but players are hopeful that with another petitioning, Activision will do something about it.

  • Warzone players call for major buff to fix “useless” shotguns in Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone players call for major buff to fix “useless” shotguns in Season 3 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are calling on Raven Software to buff some shotguns as they believe the recent changes have made them all “useless” and even “irrelevant” in the meta. In the two years that Warzone has been around, pretty much every type of weapon has had its moment in the spotlight. Some have, naturally, lasted longer than others with Assault Rifles and SMGs still ruling the day on Caldera and Rebirth Island. At a few points in time, Shotguns were the go-to weapons of choice for players, seeing as you could blow enemies away with one close-range shell – especially if you utilized Dragon’s Breath. As a result, Raven Software have hit shotguns as a whole with plenty of nerfs to bring them down a few pegs. However, players believe the devs have gone too far and made the weapon type “useless” in the battle royale. Following the Season 3 Reloaded changes, players across social media have urged the devs to give the shotguns some love rather than bringing them down further. One player, Redditor V_I_N_E_S, was left annoyed when they were unable to eliminate an enemy with a Shotgun blast despite the fact they were stood right on top of them. “A pump shotgun point-blank to the face should still one shot,” they said, with many players agreeing and airing their frustrations. “Shotguns should be way more powerful at very short range,” said one. “I don’t know what they were thinking when they decided on the amount of damage guns do in this game,” added another. “Any gun that close should one shot to the head,” said another, taking the focus away from just shotguns. Some players went further than that, suggesting that shotguns may have to be removed if they’re not buffed. “Why even keep shotguns in the game at this point?” asked Iosiro. All the pump-action ones except two in the whole game’s lifecycle have been useless. That whole class of weapons is irrelevant.” At the end of the day, changes cn only be made by Raven, and while they’ve listened to fan feedback previously, who knows if they will do so this time around.

  • Warzone players call for Kar98 nerfs to fix overused sniping meta – Dexerto

Warzone players call for Kar98 nerfs to fix overused sniping meta ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players believe the KAR98K needs a nerf and other snipers require a buff as it continues to dominate within the Season 3 meta. With Warzone’s Verdansk map being so big, having a sniper in your back pocket has almost been a must since day one. As a result, players have toyed around with the long-range weapons, settling on a few different choices over time. However, as Season 3 continues to rumble on, the Kar98K from Modern Warfare stands above the rest. According to stats from WZRanked, the marksman rifle is by far and way the most used weapon of any class in-game, and some players believe its a little too overpowered right now. Members of the CoDWarzone subreddit voiced their concerns with the Kar98 on May 15, with some saying it makes “zero sense” that higher caliber snipers deal less damage than the marksman rifle. Players quickly agreed with the sentiment that the Kar98 is a little funky versus its rivals and something has to be done. “Kar98 is lowkey wayy too good and needs a nerf,” said home_depot_man. Others suggested that the best way to nerf the weapon is to actually buff other snipers, so that there are other options available. “This is why the Rytec needs a buff. The Barrett too,” added one player, while another suggested that the M82 could do with a power boost. A slight nerf to the Kar could be the answer, but a buff to other snipers would likely do wonders for players. As per WZRanked, the next closest sniper to the Kar is the HDR, but that only has a pick ratio of 2.1%. In comparison, the Kar has a 13.8% pick ratio. It remains to be seen if anything will change soon, or if players will have to keep waiting for changes from Raven.

  • Warzone players call for changes to center of ‘boring’ Caldera map – Dexerto

Warzone players call for changes to center of ‘boring’ Caldera map ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players were excited for their trip to the Pacific, but have some concerns after setting up shop in Caldera. Now, fans are hoping for the map’s design to change – particularly in the middle. Toward the end of its days, Verdansk wasn’t the most beloved territory. Players grew tired of its tall, campy buildings and controversial color schemes. It’s no surprise, then, that people were looking forward to the vibrant Caldera. Now that we’ve settled into the Pacific for nearly a month, it seems that players might be interested in return flights. First, FaZe Swagg said Verdansk’s fights took more skill. Most recently, players are questioning the map’s overall design. In essence, Caldera’s center is the map’s highest ground with the Peak POI. Surrounding it are empty hills, with many of the denser POIs located on the outskirts. Players think this should be inverted, as it’s making matches feel “boring.” Warzone players flame Caldera’s “boring” design As brought up by Reddit‘s ‘stacker_4414,’ Caldera feels repetitive because the “mid-to-late game is the same nearly every game.” As they explain, the middle of the map is “mostly hilly, barren nothingness” so heading there as the circle closes forces people to fight over different parts of the same bushes and mountainsides. This is presented in contrast to Verdansk, where a rotation toward the center of the circle included paths through diverse POIs. Going from easternmost Beachhead to central Peak is a trip through mountainous jungle. Going from easternmost Lumber to central Factory would have been a trip including POIs like Stadium and Downtown. Stacker’s complaint is that, even if Caldera’s POIs are fun, they’re all littered across the edges of the map so the circles rarely pull to them. Instead, Stacker is left “getting real bored of the new map” and they’re not alone. In the replies to Stacker’s post, people generally agreed with the concern. One simply said “the middle of the map sucks” and another noted the lack of gravity for each POI means that “the map flows really poorly.” When you consider how low and distant POIs like Docks and Lagoon feel, it’s easy to see why players wonder why the busiest parts of the map are relegated to the borders. By contrast, Peak and its surrounding hills in the middle can feel quite desolate. For now, players seem hopeful that things can change – just as Verdansk changed over time. The biggest shakeup anyone can imagine would be a volcanic explosion, which would most certainly break apart the “boring” center.

  • Warzone players call for change to overpowered Radar jammer in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone players call for change to overpowered Radar jammer in Season 4 Raven Software reduced the drop rate of Radar Jammers in the Season 3 Reloaded Update, but Warzone players are still not satisfied with the “overpowered” Field Upgrade. The Radar Jammer Field Upgrade was introduced to Warzone in the Season 3 Reloaded update. Radar Jammers scramble player mini-maps for 45 seconds and have a radius of 125 meters. Players within the radius are not able to use Killstreaks, Heartbeat Sensors, see the circle, or see pings from teammates when they are downed, as well as blurring the minimap. The Warzone developers reduced Radar Jammer drop rate chances in Rebirth Resurgence during Season Three Reloaded, and the Season 4 patch notes confirm that Radar rate drop rate chances were also reduced in Fortune’s Keep. Some Warzone players still believe that the Radar Jammer drop rate is too high and either the 125-meter radius or the drop rate needs to be further adjusted. Warzone players are not happy over Radar Jammer drop rate Reddit user BewareDinosaurs created a Reddit thread and said, “Radar Jammers are a fine part of the game but there’s way too many. It would be better if they were rarer instead of me just ignoring the mini-map most of the time since it’s buzzed out.” The thread received hundreds of upvotes and a number of players responded voicing similar frustrations. One user said: “They shouldn’t be in the game. It completely disrupts everyone in the massive radius for entirely too long. You can’t see the gas line, zone direction, teammates, and buys. If they want to leave them in it should be like a 10 purchase, not a free ground drop.” Another person stated that “The radius needs to be small. While in Rebirth Island, one Jammer would jam 1/4th of the map.” the radar jammer covers a lot of the map tbh😂 pic.twitter.com/h2KWb5Qmcc — Juice Wiggum🚨 (@JuicyyTheFreek) May 26, 2022 The Radar Jammer covers the blue area seen in the tweet above and it basically takes out an entire corner of the Rebirth Island map. It’s still early days for Fortune’s Keep in Warzone, so time will only tell if the Radar Jammer becomes an even bigger problem on the new map.

  • Warzone players call for change to “frustrating” Armor Satchels – Dexerto

Warzone players call for change to “frustrating” Armor Satchels ActivisionWarzone players are calling for a change to the way Armor Satchels are picked up from the ground in Verdansk, as the community vent their frustrations. While Warzone has undoubtedly changed the battle royale landscape for the better, Infinity Ward’s title has had its fair share of issues… From being able to pick up weapons in the Gulag to being unable to use the Buy Station, people’s ride through Verdansk has been a bumpy one. Although one gripe that is beginning to bug players is item pick-up behavior, specifically referring to Armor Satchels. They offer players an increased carry capacity on the battlefield, but are proving to be more of a nuisance than they’re worth. While yes, being able to carry eight Armor Plates – as opposed to the five-plate capacity granted to players by default – is extremely handy, they can also be “frustrating” to pick up when looting a player’s corpse. One player expressed their annoyance with the inability to pick up an Armor Satchel when a player drops all of their loot around it. “No I don’t want the Pistol Ammo! I would like the massive Armor Satchel that should be easy to pick up, cheers!” the player said in a Reddit post that received overwhelming support. After expressing just how much of a headache it can be to pick-up the loot you want from a seemingly endless sea of goodies, they explained exactly where the issue stems from. “It’s more of a problem when I’m already full on that ammo. I can’t pick it up then, so I have to find the sweet spot which is irritating when you feel like you’re a Sniper bullet away from the Gulag.” Another player agreed with the Redditor’s point, adding that it “feels broken” and that “any other item in the game gets picked up easily” — echoing the thoughts of plenty in the thread. As it stands, however, it appears that Infinity Ward doesn’t have a fix in the pipeline any time soon. So players will need to be patient when grabbing satchels among a sea of loot for now.

  • Warzone players call for Caldera changes after Rebirth Solo success – Dexerto

Warzone players call for Caldera changes after Rebirth Solo success ActivisionWarzone players have reacted positively to Season 2 Reloaded’s Rebirth Solo success. So now, they’re calling for devs to make similar changes to Caldera’s mode. Season 2 Reloaded was released on March 23 and shook up the Call of Duty community. The mid-season update brought new content in the form of the Armaguerra 43 and more quality of life features that elevated the solo experience for Warzone players. In the process, Raven Software have also upped the quality of Rebirth Island, giving the map an expansion and a series of community challenges, causing it to be more popular than it has ever been since its release. As Warzone players begin to settle in with the mid-season change and enjoy solo runs on the newly updated Rebirth Island, they’re calling for the CoD devs to give similar changes to Caldera. Warzone players want Caldera to get the Rebirth Island treatment In a Twitter post by streamer JGOD, he tweeted a screenshot of a poll asking Warzone players if they preferred Caldera or Rebirth Island solo play. The poll illustrated how strong Rebirth Island’s solo success has been since the update as the close-quarter map blew Caldera out the water, with 88% of players preferring the former. Read More: JGOD discovers “significant” secret Warzone buffs to Quick Fix and Restock perks – As the poll suggests, Warzone players have turned their backs on Caldera, opting for Rebirth Island solos to be the superior of the two. One Twitter user said, “I’m not typically a Rebirth guy, but I definitely had way more enjoyment when I played rebirth solos on Friday than I ever had playing BR solos (Verdansk or Caldera). Warzone players have often criticized Caldera for being a map full of space that is in dire need of updates. The community thinks, giving Caldera an update that picks up the speed of matches and leans into restructuring the map would breathe some much-needed life into an otherwise dead alternative. Would be interesting to see how the Rebirth Changes would benefit Caldera Solos considering how popular the mode has been on Rebirth Island pic.twitter.com/8sAv8WCUKt — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) March 28, 2022 It will be interesting to see what will happen to Caldera Solos after the immediate success Warzone have had with the revitalized Rebirth Island. Raven Software have been known to make interesting changes to modes that the fan base has both vocally supported and disapproved. So, only time will tell if they listen to the fans and give Caldera a much-needed makeover or not.

  • Warzone players call for Apex Legends solution to fix OP weapons – Dexerto

Warzone players call for Apex Legends solution to fix OP weapons Activision / Respawn EntertainmentThe balance of weapons in Warzone is a constant source of debate within the community, and players are urging Raven to adopt an Apex Legends feature to help combat broken or overpowered guns. Striking the perfect weapon balance in any multiplayer game is tough, and Warzone’s ever-growing roster of arms has certainly struggled with this. Since the beginning of Warzone Season 2, buffs and nerfs to certain weapons have completely reshaped the game’s meta. Meanwhile, a secret, and possibly accidental, boost to the PPSH has made it incredibly overpowered with the right attachments. As is always the case when a specific gun begins to dominate Warzone, fans are unhappy with the sheer strength of the PPSH. So much so, they are calling for Raven to adopt Apex Legend’s vaulting mechanic going forward. Whereas Fortnite is constantly adding and removing guns, Warzone and Apex have a much more constant lineup of guns. However, Respawn’s battle royale has a system in place where they temporarily remove weapons that are malfunctioning or have unintentionally received a huge buff. After the most recent issue with the PPSH, Reddit user digit_zero called for a vaulting mechanic, much like the one found in Apex Legends. They claimed that removing broken weapons would prevent them from ‘running wild’ while devs work on a fix. “There is really no reason to have a broken gun or mechanic stay in the game for an extended period of time any longer than it needs to be,” they said in the post. The main obstacle standing in the way of Warzone weapons being vaulted appears to be the Blueprints and camos that players have paid for. If someone has dropped real cash on an item to use in-game, they could quite rightly be frustrated if they are temporarily unable to use it. However, other players feel this could be a necessary compromise to make for a better game overall. “It’s only temporarily. Better to get rid of it for a week until they put a patch out instead of the game being unplayable for that amount of time,” replied one player. While it must be tricky to remove weapons, especially when players have forked over their own money for skins, there’s no doubt it would make sense in keeping Warzone enjoyable. Hopefully, Raven can find a solution, perhaps in Warzone 2 in 2023.

  • Warzone players call for all maps to include new Rebirth Island feature – Dexerto

Warzone players call for all maps to include new Rebirth Island feature Raven SoftwareWarzone players are calling for the devs to introduce this “extremely overdue” feature to every map in the game following its implementation in the returning Rebirth Island. Warzone has finally brought the much-beloved Rebirth map back into the game. Despite initial concerns from fans over changes to the map, the Call of Duty community has embraced the reintegration of Rebirth with open arms. So much so that one key feature that has been introduced to the map is now something that fans want each and every Warzone map to include. But what is this “extremely overdue” feature you ask? A day cycle that also introduces different atmospheres and weather changes to each game when you drop in. Across Reddit, Warzone players have been begging developer Raven Software to add a day and night cycle to each and every Warzone map. The original poster of a popular new Reddit thread explained. “Since you are adding the (extremely overdue) time of day cycle for Rebirth Island, please consider doing the same for the rest of the Warzone maps. Not some, but all. This could be done in a random event style, a random rotation, or maybe just one map during the weekend or so. The OP added, “You saw that Al Mazrah (Night) was a hit but you’ve dropped the ball and didn’t stick with that feature…so now we continue to have thermal and night vision attachments that ultimately serve no real purpose.” Fellow Warzone community members were quick to jump in and add their own thoughts and opinions on the matter. Another Redditor commented, “That and a weather system. Fortnite has proven to constantly do both, I don’t understand why Warzone can’t have it, either.” Another Warzone player chimed in, claiming that while they are in support of the concept they simply cannot see the devs adding a day cycle into each map. “They won’t be answering nor addressing this. Thank you for trying.” Time will tell if the Warzone devs do decide to revamp their maps to introduce a day cycle and/or weather cycle to each. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if there are any new developments.

  • Warzone player’s bunker trap is one of the most genius tactics ever – Dexerto

Warzone player’s bunker trap is one of the most genius tactics ever ActivisionWarzone players are always looking to humiliate their enemies in spectacular ways, and now, one CoD player has utilized Caldera’s bunkers to trap unsuspecting enemies. Caldera’s addition to Warzone initially got off to a rocky start, but it seems the tropical-based map is leading a new renaissance, as players begin to prefer it over Verdansk. While the map still has its fair share of glitches and issues to be ironed out, players are taking advantage of the map’s POIs, often leading to inventive victories. Now, one player has crafted their own meticulous method to trap players using Caldera’s bunkers. Warzone player’s “Bunker Meta” is incredible CoD content creator BizarreBandit showcased their method for dunking on Warzone players, which involves utilizing bunkers located on the beaches of Caldera. Dropping into a fresh match, the YouTuber laid out their idea as they wanted to trap an enemy down in one of the bunkers. “So I think only one person went for the bunker. Gonna wait and see how it goes down. Grab the vehicle, plug the hole” they explained as they loomed over their unsuspecting victim. After lurking over their enemy in the air, Bandit acted quickly to execute a key element of the plan: secure the Big Bertha truck and plug the hole. With the Big Bertha commandeered, they blocked off the exit for the underground bunker, causing their enemy to panic. “If they have a Gas Can, they can easily get out” added Bandit, though, that wasn’t the case. After successfully destroying Bandit’s Bertha, the CoD content creator claimed the spoils of war by eliminating them instantly. With all the loot already acquired and any potential threats dealt with by the enemy, Bandit’s “smoke break” was clearly a resounding success. We’ll have to wait and see if the tactic becomes widespread, but if you drop into a bunker, keep an eye out for illegally parked Berthas.

  • Warzone players brand Season 4 Reloaded “worst meta” of all time – Dexerto

Warzone players brand Season 4 Reloaded “worst meta” of all time Since Season 4 Reloaded was released the Warzone 2 meta has shifted greatly. The most used gun combination is the Basilisk pistol with Snakeshot rounds coupled with the X13 Auto, which some players are branding the “worst meta,” of all time. Season 4 Reloaded saw the rise of pistols in Warzone 2, with the Basilisk revolvers and X13 Auto establishing themselves as the new close-range meta. It’s no surprise either as they both have an incredible TTK. According to Warzone 2 expert JGOD, the X13 Auto can kill in just 455 ms, while the Akimbo Basilisks manage an extraordinary 360 ms up close. For context, that’s almost twice as fast as the ISO 45. This combination has become especially prevalent on Vondel, a Resurgence map where gunfights are usually close quarters. They were so impactful that the July 19 update saw these two guns banned from Ranked Play. Snakeshot Basilisk & X13 Auto named Warzone 2’s “worst meta” ever A Warzone 2 player posted on Reddit showcasing a video of what they believe is the worst meta in the history of Call of Duty: Warzone. The post states: “I present the all time worst meta combination of all time!” and shows off a series of kills where OP is able to dominate close quarters thanks to the meta pistol combo. The replies were somewhat divisive with one reading “Not when the DMR/Mac-10 existed,” but another player countering that by saying “I lived through both and I think this is worse personally.” Others compared the current pistol meta to some of the most infamous metas. Examples that were brought up include Sykov pistols, the hitscan SPR 208, Vanguard’s Double Barrel shotguns, and the launch AS-VAL which could shoot through any surface or wall. Interestingly, very few comparisons were made to other Warzone 2 metas. When trying to decide what the battle royale’s worst meta ever is almost every suggestion was taken from the original game. Regardless of whether it will go down as the worst meta or not, there’s no doubt that the Snakeshots and X13 Auto combo has proven controversial. Its dominance up close thanks to an incredible time to kill makes it difficult to beat, especially in the hands of a skilled player.

  • Warzone players blast “unplayable” Season 6 as casual fans move to other games – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “unplayable” Season 6 as casual fans move to other games ActivisionWarzone players have questioned the casual presence in Season 6, suggesting that the majority of players are those who have invested significant time, and money, into the battle royale. Among the controversies Warzone has experienced since its launch, skill-based matchmaking has been fairly high on the list. It sees players put into lobbies with opponents of similar skill levels, and brings no shortage of contention with it. However, players generally report some casual opponents amongst those designed to challenge them. The number of casual opponents seems to be falling though, with plenty of players sharing their frustrations regarding Season 6. Redditor 0ver-Loaded made the point on October 22, asking whether the “casuals” have switched Warzone out for other titles. “I play a couple of hours a week and the game is unplayable at times,” they said. “Every team seems to have the latest blueprints and skins which they’ve paid for where as I’m someone who’s put no money into the game it feels like I’m at a disadvantage. So have all the casuals moved on to playing something else?” Read More: What is Warzone Visions of Verdansk? – Others commented with their agreement, with one saying: “My brother and I play like 5-6 hours a week and I totally agree. The game is not very enjoyable anymore, plus the updates haven’t been the most exciting.” A host of self-proclaimed casuals also replied, stating that they have moved on to other games. Far Cry 6, Apex Legends, and New World were all among the titles ex-Warzone players appear to have moved on to. It’s true that a large portion of Warzone’s most prominent content creators have also moved away from the game of late, with many going to rival Apex Legends. However, with Warzone finally adding an anti-cheat system – RICOCHET – during the Vanguard integration, things could turn around. With the arrival of a new game, casual fans could return in their droves, but it seems Season 6 lobbies will stay full of diehard players.

  • Warzone players blast “unplayable” problems ahead of Season 3 launch – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “unplayable” problems ahead of Season 3 launch ActivisionWarzone players claim the battle royale is currently “unplayable” on console as some of the biggest issues with Caldera continue to persist. The integration between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone was supposed to be a big leap forward for the battle royale, given that the iconic Verdansk map was finally being replaced and plenty of new items were being added. Though, it hasn’t quite worked like that. Since the arrival of Caldera, players have urged the devs to make massive changes due to graphical and gameplay issues – with many suggesting that Verdansk should return if they can’t figure things out before Warzone 2 drops. Well, it appears as if some of those issues are continuing to give players headaches, especially on console, as some fans are giving up on the battle royale until they get ironed out. For many players, including Redditor patriotraitor, they believe that the console experience is still “slow and sluggish” compared to their PC counterparts, which puts them at a massive disadvantage in crossplay matches. ” I’ve come to the realization that Warzone itself isn’t fully optimized for console, and if anything, feels terrible sluggish, slow, and borderline unplayable when matched up against mostly PC players,” stated the Redditor, who noted that even switching to Rebirth Island feels “stiff” versus PC. Plenty of players echoed their frustrations too, stating that they’re still having trouble getting textures to load on Caldera. “The textures are terrible and the reticle for my sniper doesn’t appear at all,” said one. “PC and Console do not belong in FPS lobbies together, added another. Console players are not alone in their issues, with some PC users noting that they’ve had problems with stuttering gunfights and regular random crashes in recent weeks. Raven Software and Activision have promised to continue rolling out optimization updates to make the battle royale run smoothly, though, it appears as if they’re going to need to make them pretty frequent with Season 3 on the horizon.

  • Warzone players blast “trash” secret change to contracts – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “trash” secret change to contracts ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have noticed a pretty major change to the way bounty contracts work as they seemingly no longer reward the whole team. While Warzone follows the same formula as most battle royales – drop, loot, and try to be the last to survive – there are a few big differences that set it apart. The main one is, of course, the loadout system. If you find enough cash, you can buy a loadout marker from the sops around the map, allowing you to wield some of your favorite weapons in the game. In order to get enough cash, most players opt to complete the different contracts that are scattered about. However, there seems to be an issue with the way bounty contracts now pay out. Following the Season 5 update on August 13, a handful of players claimed that completing a bounty contract no longer rewards the whole team involved in the kill. “Bounties in Warzone now only reward the individual player who killed the bounty with cash. Intentional or not?” asked ModernWarzone, prompting some fans to go and test it out. Some players quickly noted that Recon and Scavenger contracts were also acting in the same way, only rewarding the player who claimed the final spot or box rather than everyone else involved. Lots of mentions about this also being the case with Recon and Scavenger contracts 🤔 — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) August 13, 2021 “This might be the dumbest change they ever did. If intentional, of course,” said one player. “If that’s intentional, that’s a trash new system for bounties,” added another. “That’s terrible. Bounties won’t be worth it now,” said another. Of course, seeing as players are having mixed results, it could well be a bug. If it isn’t, and it is an actually intentional change, players will no doubt vent their frustrations until a change is made. However, if that is to be the case very much remains to be seen.

  • Warzone players blast the most “diabolical” meta that made them quit – Dexerto

Warzone players blast the most “diabolical” meta that made them quit Following complaints from members of the Warzone 2 community about the current meta, a fan has reminded players about the “diabolical,” DMR meta. As with any competitive shooter, both Warzone and Warzone 2 have seen countless metas come and go. Players are always trying to figure out which guns, perks, and attachments can give them the edge. Warzone 2’s current meta has seen a mix of rifles, SMG, and snipers used with full auto guns making up the majority of the battle royale game’s most used weapons. However, that wasn’t always the case with some metas favoring less conventional firearms such as shotguns and DMRs. It’s a reminder of the latter that has gotten the Warzone community talking. Warzone players remember DMR 14 meta A Warzone fan posted a Reddit thread reminding the community of what many players consider the battle royale’s worst-ever meta. The post reads: “If you know, you know… You had to be there,” with an image of both the DMR 14 and MAC-10 from Black Ops Cold War attached. Responding to the post, one user said: “People have a really short memory this was HELL on earth.” Another fan followed up by explaining why the meta was so divisive: “One mag. 200m away. Delete an entire quad out of a moving vehicle before they could hit the brakes lmao.” The general consensus on the DMR meta seems to be negative with another player posting: “Yeah it was diabolical. Loads of the lads I played Warzone with quit during the DMR meta and never came back haha.” Some other players didn’t mind the meta as much but felt it lasted too long: “The DMR meta was the most broken sh*t ever, TTK was zero. It was kinda funny for a week, but it went on way too long.” The DMR 14 meta was Warzone’s first meta following the integration of Black Ops Cold War weapons. The controversial marksman rifle would receive multiple nerfs following this meta with its headshot damage reduced and recoil increased.

  • Warzone players blast servers as “worse than ever” after Season 3 update – Dexerto

Warzone players blast servers as “worse than ever” after Season 3 update ActivisionWarzone players have claimed that the battle royale’s servers are “worse than ever” following the Season 3 update, stating that lag and packet loss problems are happening even more frequently. Season 3 of Warzone dropped on April 27, bringing a plethora of changes to Caldera, Rebirth Island, and all the weapons and equipment that inhabits them. Snipers are far from as strong as they were and new POIs like Peak, Dig Site and Shipwreck are pushing players to Caldera’s perimeter. However, players are suggesting that the update has actually brought issues in terms of Warzone’s servers and player connection. One player, Redditor ‘Salt-Loan1327‘ claimed that the servers are “worse than ever” following the Season 3 update. They said: “I feel like I’m lagging but am running 19 ping usually, I can’t exactly explain it but I know something has been off for a few weeks now.” While major patches like seasonal updates seek to fix bugs, they often have unintended consequences that can occasionally be to the game’s detriment. Other players suggested similar, with one saying: “[I] can’t even enjoy a decent session without running into constant flat/missing textures, no footstep audio, and unreal lag, stuttering and packet burst. I constantly lose aim assist mid-fight and literally cannot see people because of the missing textures.” A third player suggested it occurs when they are in an area of the map populated by other players, saying: “50%+ of the games for anywhere from 1-5 minutes I run at like 10fps at stutter like crazy, makes dropping anywhere worthwhile completely useless because I can’t drop anywhere there’s going to be people.” Raven are yet to respond but we can expect to see some quick follow-up patches to address issues caused by Season 3’s patch. Hopefully, that will reduce the frequency of lag and packet loss problems.

  • Warzone players blast Season 3 Gulag as “worst” ever layout – Dexerto

Warzone players blast Season 3 Gulag as “worst” ever layout ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have hit out at the new Gulag map in Season 3, with some calling it the “worst one” that the battle royale has ever had. When Warzone was first revealed and released back as a part of Modern Warfare in 2019, the Call of Duty dev teams brought a number of innovations to the battle royale genre. Aside from being able to use loadouts from multiplayer and killstreaks, the biggest change to the BR formula was the introduction of the Gulag. After being eliminated, players have the chance to redeem themselves and jump back into the fight, so long as they can defeat another slain enemy. As the battle royale has been updated, the Gulag formula has remained the same, but has gone through a few variations of layout. In Season 3 Reloaded, the Gulag setup has changed again, and some players believe it’s an “awful” change. The new Gulag – Hold, which resembles the belly of a ship – was added at the end of April has been the subject of plenty of complaints from players across social media. “The current Gulag is the worst. I absolutely hate it,” stated one Redditor, with another fan, Mikerichhh, quickly agreeing: “It punishes those who leave spawn and rewards campers. I hate it.” Others claimed that there are still “tonnes” of sound issues relating to Gulag which make it “awful” in its current state. “S3 Gulag is by far the worst one we’ve had. Still tons of sound issues that have been there since Caldera launched,” one player commented. “Honestly it confuses me as to why they ever deviated from the original Gulag that had a simple layout but worked extremely well,” said ILewdElichika, joining the popular sentiment of bringing back Verdansk’s showers layout. On top of the audio issues hampering the Gulag experience, other players suggested the current layout has too many lanes and head glitches to deal with. Of course, there are unlikely to be any changes to the Gulag anytime soon, seeing as it only arrived fairly recently. Though, who knows what is planned for the next update.

  • Warzone players blast Raven as Buy Station crashing glitch continues – Dexerto

Warzone players blast Raven as Buy Station crashing glitch continues ActivisionWarzone players are still finding themselves frustrated as the game’s Buy Station glitch continues to ruin the game for many, despite Raven Software’s best attempts to rectify it. Within the growing list of devastating Warzone bugs and glitches, the freezing Buy Station problem is by far one of the most irritating. Originally appearing back in August 2021, many players thought Raven Software have dealt with the issue through various updates. Unfortunately, the glitch managed to hang around in-game despite January’s patch that sought to eliminate it. Now, players are firing back at the developers for not handling the issue. Warzone players flame “serious issues” amid buy station chaos The issue of the freezing Buy Station has been the downfall of many Warzone players, and now, Redditor Due-Entrepreneur-641 is demanding the devs “fix the buy station glitch.” “They finally fix the loadouts. But that won’t make a difference if you lag out and aren’t able to buy anything at the buy station,” the annoyed player continued. Despite showing some admiration for Warzone they noted that it has “serious issues that needed to be fixed.” Joining the rallying cry for an urgent fix, players are sharing their anger over the situation. Redditor T7MMU took aim at Raven Software, saying “it’s laughable how useless they are as a developer.” Others have suggested abandoning Warzone forever is the best port of call: “Pro tip: delete the game, I quit this trash game because I was so frustrated with bugs and glitches, unplayable.” Many players, like Redditor Remcroft, have unfortunately suffered through the glitch multiple times: “Just happened again for the twentieth time. It’s so game-breaking I’m shocked it’s still not fixed.” Season Two of CoD: Vanguard and Warzone have both been delayed to allow the developers to polish the titles, but the list of issues just seems to keep getting longer.

  • Warzone players blast “pay-to-win” Night Terror skin: “It’s Roze 3.0” – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “pay-to-win” Night Terror skin: “It’s Roze 3.0” ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have labeled the new Night Terror skin from CoD: Vanguard as the new Roze given they’ve got difficulties seeing it in shaded areas. As battle royale games have gotten bigger and bigger over the years, so too have the cosmetics that they all offer. While Call of Duty: Warzone started out with many military-themed skins, they’ve gotten wackier over time as well. There have, of course, been some skins that haven’t gone down well with the player base – with the most notable being the Roze skin from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The blacked-out skin proved difficult for players to spot in dimly lit areas of the Warzone maps, and became so bad that the devs had to implement changes. Now, following the June 30 update, players believe that the brand-new Night Terror is taking over where the Roze skin left off as it is seemingly impossible to see in some areas. Images of the new skin in action were highlighted by YouTuber ElvisCOD, with one showing the Night Terror skin hiding inside one of the tents on Caldera. While a small purple glow can be seen – if you look hard enough, that is – the skin is still pretty dark, and fans aren’t best pleased about it. “Why do they do this. Stop creating skins that can’t be seen in all these dark corners,” said Redditor Nice-Web583, with some immediately calling it “Roze 3.0” and the “Vanguard Roze” skin. “Pay to win. It sucks,” added another disgruntled Warzone player. “I’ve been looking at this for 10 seconds, still can’t find where she is,” another said. So i tested Roze 3.0 on console (PS4)😃 pic.twitter.com/ZOFHBmTKUS — Elvis COD🎮 (@ElvisCOD) June 30, 2022 Some fans suggested that the skin is not the issue, but rather the in-game lighting. “The audio and lighting is terrible and needs to be fixed,” commented SalThePotato. As noted, the previous Roze skin was tackled by the devs with these lighting changes, but it seems more may have to be on the cards now given the early frustrations with Night Terror.

  • Warzone players blast “pay to win” Gaia skin in Season 6 – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “pay to win” Gaia skin in Season 6 ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have hit out at the new Gaia skin in Season 6, with some calling it “broken” and others labeling it as “pay to win” right now. Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on the horizon, Season 6 of Warzone has gotten underway and will be the last big seasonal update until the new game releases. Naturally, like every other new season, the devs have added a whole host of new things – including two new weapons, a nighttime version of Al-Mazrah, and a raft of new skins. While some players have an issue with the Lockwood 300 shotgun, others have pointed at the Gaia skin as their big issue. To go along with the spooky season vibes of Season 6, Gaia has gotten a Groot-like tree skin where the bottom half of the body isn’t as visible as the top half. As a result, some fans believe it is a bit “broken” and need a change. Warzone players hit out at “broken” Gaia skin in Season 6 Many players have taken to social media to complain about the new skin, comparing it to the infamous Roze and 100 Thieves skins that allowed players to hide in the shadows without being spotted. “In a game that has been toeing the line of pay-to-win for some time, the Gaia skin is one of the most intentionally broken features we’ve seen in a long time. The skin is nearly impossible to see in dark environments or in bushes,” complained Redditor bupivacaine, who called on Activision to ban it from any sort of Ranked play. “That tree skin needs to be removed or tweaked. F**king bulls**t skin,” agreed one player. “So hard to see even in broad daylight as parts of the skin are see-through…,” added another. “I noticed it’s broken AF,” another commented. Some players argued that the Blackcell version of the Gaia skin, which sees it having a “glow” about it, could be viewed as “pay to lose.” Though, they’re still not happy with the regular version. With Season 6 now running until MW3 releases, some players are concerned that there won’t be any sizable updates to address their complaints. However, we’ll have to wait and see if their fears are realized.

  • Warzone players blast “pay to win” Doom shotgun ruining battle royale – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “pay to win” Doom shotgun ruining battle royale ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have hit out at the devs for the “broken” Super Shotgun in the Doom bundle, with a number calling the bundle “pay to win” as well. Over the years, Call of Duty has experimented with different bundles and skins for characters, but just like pretty much every other battle royale, things went up a notch in Warzone. While bundles aren’t supposed to offer a competitive advantage – but rather make you look good in-game – that hasn’t always been the case. There have been numerous “pay to win” guns and add-ons across the original Warzone and Warzone 2, and whenever one appears to pop up, the community is left outraged. Well, with the arrival of the new Doom bundle – which includes the iconic Super Shotgun – some players have been voicing their frustrations with it. Warzone players furious with “broken” Doom bundle That’s right, the brand-new Doom bundle has already been branded as “broken” and “pay to win” by some annoyed players, who are urging the devs to make an immediate change. “This bundle has had by far the worst impact in the game so far, and getting it is only supporting such practices,” commented one Redditor. “Sure, most often buffs and nerfs are done along with bundles and their revenue, but this is just broken, and has to remain broken because of the stupid bundle.” “What is this pay to win bulls*it!?” another asked. “It’s a proper dick move to ruin the balance of your entire game just to boost sales of one bundle in your store,” said another player. Some annoyed players pointed to the Chainsaw, which also comes in the bundle, as another “broken” aspect of the battle royale. Other players stated that they’d be “taking a break” from Warzone until changes are made to the Super Shotgun bundle and the Lockwood 300 as a whole. However, that seems unlikely given that Modern Warfare 3 is around the corner and any massive Warzone changes will have to wait until then.

  • Warzone players blast game as “unplayable” ahead of Pacific Season 2 – Dexerto

Warzone players blast game as “unplayable” ahead of Pacific Season 2 ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have blasted the state of the battle royale ahead of Pacific Season 2, claiming the game is “unplayable” and that the list of issues is only getting bigger. While Warzone remains one of the most popular battle royales in the video game world, many fans have taken issues with the game’s lackluster state in Warzone Pacific Season One. The removal of Verdansk in favor of Caldera was highly anticipated, but has given way to a new map so inundated with glitches and bugs that it’s hard to complete a single game without encountering one. Activision have apologized for the state of both Warzone and Vanguard but, with the Season 2 update around the corner, fans want to see tangible progress towards a better in-game environment. That remains the case in Season One’s closing weeks, with fans slamming the game as “unplayable”. One player commented that “something just feels off about this game,” suggesting RICOCHET anti-cheat is not effective and that the game is getting less rewarding. “I hate being a conspiracy theorist but I genuinely feel like RICOCHET does not work in regular BR like it does in Vanguard Royale,” they finished. Another player echoed these comments, calling the game “unplayable” and criticizing the consistency of gunfights. “The hitreg is just terrible,” they said, “[I] shoot 10 MP40 shots in a player’s back [at] close-range and he turns around and kills you instantly with shots at your feet. It’s just unplayable right now.” Comment byu/redskinfan654 from discussion inCODWarzone Plenty of other players had similar thoughts, with many suggesting there could be a problem with the game’s net code or ping. Despite reporting solid internet connection, many feel Warzone has been inconsistent in its connection and have been experiencing lag. Once again, we’ll have to wait and see what Raven say and do in response but, with Season 2 around the corner, many are hoping for meaningful changes to improve Warzone’s dwindling quality.

  • Warzone players blast “extremely dumb” loadout changes in Season 4 update – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “extremely dumb” loadout changes in Season 4 update ActivisionWarzone players are frustrated over a change made to loadout drops in the Season 4 update, demanding that Raven revert the “incredibly bad” change. The Warzone Pacific Season 4 update brought a huge number of changes to the Call of Duty battle royale. The new Fortune’s Keep map arrived, along with some new modes, changes to floor loot perks, and a huge number of weapon balancing changes, as can be seen in the patch notes. However, one quality of life fix has left players completely bamboozled, demanding that devs Raven Software reconsider the change. As part of the update, Raven changed loadout drop selections, so that instead of opening up to a pre-selected loadout, allowing players to quickly press the confirm button and get going, it goes straight to the top of the menu. In the pre-game lobby, you might have got used to selecting a particular loadout so that it’s ready to go as soon as you get the Loadout Drop in the real game, but now it automatically goes back to the very top loadout. Within hours, players were seriously unimpressed, saying that it “makes zero sense” and that the change needs to be reverted as it messes with them when trying to select their guns. With hundreds of upvotes and many comments in agreement that the change was unnecessary, the topic is clearly one that a lot of players are frustrated with. Warzone creative director Ted Timmins has made his support of the change clear, though. “I promise that this change is just like the removal of the confirmation UI pop-up from the buy station,” he explained. “Remember how everyone jumped at buy stations for a week but then it was better? This will be the same, just needs the muscle memory to shift.” I promise that this change is just like the removal of the confirmation UI pop up from the buy station. This will be the same, just needs the muscle memory to shift. https://t.co/JHt0AtzJCt — Ted Timmins (@JustTeddii) June 24, 2022 Timmins may well be accurate in his assessment, and before long players could have easily forgotten about the issues they have with the loadout selection change.

  • Warzone players blast devs over “punishing” Kar98 sniper nerfs – Dexerto

Warzone players blast devs over “punishing” Kar98 sniper nerfs ActivisionWarzone’s bevy of marksman rifles is dominated by the Kar98, but continuous nerfs to the popular rifle have players up in arms as they fire back at Raven Software. The Call of Duty franchise has seen some incredible weapons join the fray, but the recent iteration of the Kar98k has cemented itself as a Warzone favorite. With a lightweight feel and devilish stopping power, the popular marksman rifle was a bonafide team-wiper in the right hands, but repeated nerfs have comprised the weapon’s value. Warzone players are hoping a fix will be implemented to rebalance the weapon, as they aim their concerns toward the developers. Kar98k becomes “useless” as Warzone nerfs shake up the game Despite its mainstay appeal within Warzone for numerous seasons, the Kar98k may drop off in popularity, as Redditor JournalistBright109 is one of many highlighting its devastating drop in damage. Replying to original poster SZutich97, the Redditor said “they are literally punishing people for being good at the game” in response to jarring footage of a Kar98k headshot failing to enact sufficient damage. “All snipers got nerfed when season 3 hit” added the Warzone player. Another disgruntled player feels that the nerfs are hitting multiple weapon classes, aside from marksman rifles: “You can’t use 75% of snipers, almost all shotguns, almost all pistols. Half the ARs, SMGs are useless too.” Redditor bilbobugginz appeared to be confused by the bizarre footage, as they said: “I hate how they did that … big ducking hole in his head and it’s not a down from a rifle that close… wtf is Raven thinking?” While the nerf to the Kar98 is brutal, some players feel like the decision from Raven Software was always on the cards: “Yeah it’s a harsh nerf BUT they have been overpowered for ages. It’s a hard balance.” The Kar98 has been a crucial element to many loadouts for both casual players and streamers for multiple seasons, but streamers such as TimTheTatMan have begun to shed light on the unseen potential of the AX-50 sniper rifle.

  • Warzone players blast devs over console FOV slider announcement – Dexerto

Warzone players blast devs over console FOV slider announcement ActivisionWarzone players have slammed the game’s developers over the confirmation that there will be no field-of-view (FOV) slider added to the battle royale on console, describing it as an “infuriating disappointment”. Few features have been as in demand amongst Warzone players as a FOV slider on console. The mechanic, which features as a standard feature on PC versions of Warzone, enables players to adjust their field-of-view to be slightly more zoomed in or zoomed out. In short, it enables players to customize exactly how their game looks whilst playing, with wider FOVs allowing a broader gameplay perspective. However, Activision recently poured cold water on console players’ hopes, stating that no FOV slider will come to consoles in Warzone. Their reasons related to performance drops on previous generation consoles (PS4/Xbox One), as well as stating that a FOV slider would disproportionately benefit high-skill players. Developers also confirmed that last-gen consoles are currently the biggest player base. For FOV, when asked “”why not next-gen FOV slider?”” they said: “”we don’t want to further increase the skill gap.”” Also said “”FOV slider benefits high skilled players mainly”” — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 11, 2022 The response from console players – especially those on next-gen platforms that do not experience the performance drops – was overwhelmingly negative, with many criticizing the decision as unfair on console users and protecting the BR’s worst players. One user, for example, claimed that Activision are “intentionally f**king next gen console owners.” Another replied: “Surprising? No. Infuriating disappointment? Oh yeah.” One player also highlighted perceived hypocrisy from Activision, saying: “The problem with this particular statement is them saying that they strive for the game to be optimized and smooth to run. Meanwhile it’s been unplayable on next gen consoles… major bugs are not fixed, yet any quick update or bug that gives any advantage to the players is fixed within literally 12-24 hours.” Comment byu/Snowbunny236 from discussion inCODWarzone Many users, though, pointed out that they are likely saving the feature for Warzone 2, the BR sequel that was officially confirmed earlier in February. One said: “They’re saving it for Warzone 2, clearly intentional and creates a bigger draw to it when it releases. Kinda scummy but I wouldn’t expect anything else from them.” A guaranteed FOV slider with Warzone 2 is not confirmed, but details about the anticipated BR sequel are piling up now it has been confirmed. Plenty of players are clearly hoping for one.

  • Warzone players blast devs as “game-breaking” audio ruins Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto

Warzone players blast devs as “game-breaking” audio ruins Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionWarzone players have blasted the game’s devs, claiming that the BR’s audio has deteriorated even more after Season 4 Reloaded and is now “game-breaking” and “absolute garbage”. Warzone has had a number of invasive issues since it launched back in March 2020, with bugs, glitches, and cheating all dominating the discourse around the CoD battle royale. One of the less-prominent problems is game audio, crucial in a BR so players know when and where enemies are moving in to eliminate them. However, there have long been complaints from players that the game’s audio is lacking, with many claiming it does indicate enemy locations nearly as well as it should. Warzone players claim audio is “worse” after Season 4 Reloaded Now, following July 28’s Season 4 Reloaded patch, players are claiming the game’s audio is even more problematic than it was previously. One player highlighted their issues in a July 31 Reddit post, asking whether it has “sunk to a game-breaking level” for other players too. Over 100 upvotes at the time of writing suggests it has. “I can’t hear sh*t,” they complained. “I could have two guys sprinting behind me and hear nothing whatsoever. People climbing up ladders right next to me without dead silence and there’s 0 audio. Watch a kill cam of a player sprinting in circles in a room directly next to me and I would think I was alone in the building. I feel like it wasn’t this bad a few weeks ago?” Echoing the sentiment was another Redditor who claimed audio has become even worse than they thought was possible. They commented: “Footstep audio is absolute garbage still, but now I can’t even hear someone cutting off their parachute and landing on top of my head (this used to be a very obvious sound).” Naturally, players want consistently good audio to ensure they’re always aware of their surroundings and minimize unnecessary deaths. Right now, Warzone’s audio isn’t delivering. Raven have not responded to the complaints but any future updates could well look to address players concerns over troublesome audio.

  • Warzone players blast decision to increase Fortune’s Keep player count – Dexerto

Warzone players blast decision to increase Fortune’s Keep player count ActivisionBe careful what you wish for, as Warzone players immediately regret asking for a higher player count on Fortune’s Keep. Warzone Season 5 introduced massive map changes. From Monday through Thursday, a playlist rotation keeps the experience fresh for players. However, players were furious over Rebirth Island getting left out of the main rotation. The battle royale’s final update also increased Fortune’s Keep’s player count. Raven Software experimented with an LTM in July, adding a higher player count to Fortune’s Keep, and players enjoyed it. Raven decided to make increased player count a permanent fixture in Season 5, but the change was not met with the same positive reception. Warzone players slam Fortune’s Keep changes Here are the new player count numbers on Fortune’s Keep: Solos: 50 players, up from 45 – Duos: 50 players up from 46 – Trios: 51 players, up from 45 – Quads: 52 players, up from 40 – The new lobby sizes are not a drastic change, but it was enough to set off the Warzone community. Not liking an increased player count, a Reddit user argued: “It’s already a smaller hectic map, and the increased player count makes the mode nearly impossible to use any strategy.” Arguing Warzone moved away from the battle royale formula, one player claimed, “Feels more like COD multiplayer with this many people, and very little opportunity for any kind of strategy.” A second user added, “Resurgence is a nicely balanced middle ground between all-out battle royale and MP. The added player count just makes it closer to MP-style.” Average players feel overwhelmed by the change, and a third player claimed, “It just feels suffocating. There is no opportunity to loot, buy loadout, or rotate without constantly fighting off one or two other teams.” Fortune’s Keep has been nothing short of a revelation since its arrival, but some players believe this is a step back from the developers.

  • Warzone players blast “crazy fast” TTK ruining MW3 Season 1 already – Dexerto

Warzone players blast “crazy fast” TTK ruining MW3 Season 1 already ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players have already made a few complaints about the TTK in the new update, with a few being unsure about how powerful rifles are. Over the last few years, Call of Duty fans have had a few complaints with both Warzone and the regular multiplayer mode. Many of them have centered around SBMM – skill-based matchmaking – but it’s also TTK – Time to Kill – that has gotten their backs up. The TTK has varied across each new release, with it simply being too fast for some players in one game and then going totally the opposite way in the next. When it comes to Warzone, many players have stated that they just want a good middle ground. Well, with the Season 1 update going live and bringing Urzkistan into the mix, some fans have already gotten annoyed with how it feels. Warzone players furious with TTK after MW3 update Many players, including Redditor GroundbreakingKey964, have flagged weapons like the DG-56 being slightly too fast right now and probably needing to be changed. “Full health and I get insta-killed without any warning,” they said, complaining about the TTK. That example led to a few players chiming in with their own annoyances. “I feel like the gunplay and TTK is off, everything else feels great imo,” stated one player. “DMR meta TTK, and sh*tty audio, they really did bring back WZ1 :D,” another joked. “I enjoyed it a lot yesterday but not so much today. TTK feels incredibly inconsistent. Most guns I pick up feel awful and aiming on PC feels unnatural,” another commented. Other players added that the “crazy fast TTK” has “hampered what is a fantastic update,” though some tried to argue that was always going to be the case and some adjustment is needed. Obviously, the TTK of different weapons is going to be changed with each seasonal update, but it’s unknown if the devs will consider a health change to alter it on a bigger scale.

  • Warzone players blast Buy Back as “worst mode” amid controversial playlist change – Dexerto

Warzone players blast Buy Back as “worst mode” amid controversial playlist change ActivisionCall of Duty players have hit out at the Buy Back modes added to Warzone in Season Five, calling them the “worst” and demanding Raven reinstate normal playlists as soon as possible. The weekly rotation of playlists in Warzone has become standard to any player, with Raven regularly trying to shake up the game’s formula and introduce some dynamic and enjoyable limited-time modes. However, rather controversially, they chose to remove all the game’s standard playlists in favor of “Buy Back” variations of the classic Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads. Buy Back modes have one major difference to standard modes – if players have enough cash they instantly drop back into the action, regardless of a Gulag or elimination. It affects the pace of matches, as well as making the collection of cash even more important. The initial removal was met with some backlash, but it appears to have grown as players strive for the standard Warzone experience. One player – Redditor ‘Bio-Shocked‘ – called it the “worst mode” and asked why it had to replace normal modes, rather than be implemented alongside them. “Why in the world would they completely remove regular BR for it?” they asked. “It is nothing like how the normal flow of the game would usually progress. Oh cool, you killed a team? Here comes another one. Oh, you barely managed them? The original team spawned back in, picked up their guns, and shot you in the back. Rinse and repeat.” Other disgruntled players echoed the OP’s comments, stating that Buy Back modes give a completely different experience to the standard BR playlists. One said: “It’s chaotic. The timing and pacing of everything is off.” Another referred to Buy Back as “trash”. It does appear to be a weekly change, meaning that the week commencing August 30 should see a return to normal. It’s also worth bearing in mind that some players have actually called for Buy Back Solos to replace regular Solos because of their faster pace and emphasis on aggression. Aren’t opinions wonderful?

  • Warzone players blame decreasing player count on insane skill gap – Dexerto

Warzone players blame decreasing player count on insane skill gap ActivisionThere are no player count statistics for Warzone, but some players claim that the game is declining in popularity. These players believe that Warzone’s steep skill gap is driving players away. Warzone is over two years old, and some players have been playing since day one. Older games are harder to break into and find immediate success. Take, for example, Fortnite and Overwatch. Both games built massive fan bases and have been around for a long time. It can be intimidating for new players wanting to try these games for the first time. Warzone players bashed the battle royale for its “ridiculous” weapon unlock grind. Unlocking weapons and weapon attachments take hours, making Warzone less accessible. The Warzone community’s latest criticism targets Warzone’s skill gap issue. Warzone players criticize “crazy” player skill level Reddit user swat7334 created a thread and said, “I had recently watched some high kill games from streamers posted a few years ago when Warzone was new, and the skill level is completely different.” One user claimed that the skill gap in Warzone is minimal. They stated, “People think the skill level of players is high; no, the gap between good and bad players is so small that it seems like everyone is good.” In video games, the term skill gap is commonly used to explain the gap between good and bad players. The game is complicated and takes time to learn if the gap is significant. A small skill gap allows anyone to pick up the game and be good enough. Another user argued, “end of a game’s life cycle, all that is left are the die-hard players. It happens with every shooter, and I would say with any game. Which side of the coin do you land?

  • Warzone player’s best man offer goes horribly wrong in hilarious fashion – Dexerto

Warzone player’s best man offer goes horribly wrong in hilarious fashion ActivisionA Warzone player had their best man proposal interrupted in-game, leading to a hilarious clip that demonstrates just how hectic Call of Duty’s battle royale can get. For many, Warzone has become a place for players to catch up with their friends and grind out late-night battle royale sessions. Communication amongst teammates is incredibly important, especially because things can quickly descend into chaos. However, there are times where the action can be a little quiet. It is during these lulls that conversations can branch into areas outside of the game. Well, that’s exactly what one player did when he decided to ask their friend to become the best man at his wedding. What followed was a hilarious clip that perfectly captures the sheer unpredictability of Verdansk. Warzone player best man proposal Like all battle royale titles, peacetime never lasts for long in Warzone. This is especially true when you’re trekking through enemy-filled territory. After opening the map and assessing where they needed to go, both players began to run towards the airfield. However, it was during this time that one player decided to make his best man proposal. “Tom, while I have you here, I have an important question for you. So, we don’t know when we’re getting married, but would you do me the honor of being my best man.” While the delivery of this proposal seems fine at first, the conversation quickly erupted into screams as both players began to take incoming fire. Chaos quickly ensued as a barrage of bullets came streaking their way, cutting both players down, and eliminating them from the action. Despite being defeated and sent reeling back to the lobby screen, there was a happy ending. The future bridegroom stated that “once we stopped laughing he said yes.” It’s certainly one of the most comical clips we’ve had from Warzone, and we’re sure to get many more when the Pacific map arrives later this month.

  • Warzone players believe Armor Plates have been nerfed after Season 2 reloaded update – Dexerto

Warzone players believe Armor Plates have been nerfed after Season 2 reloaded update ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have been left puzzled as they believe Armor Plates have seemingly been hit with a nerf in the Season 2 Reloaded update. The recent March 24 Warzone Season 2 Reloaded patch was packed with a slew of changes. From massive Rebirth Island updates to quality of life improvements, as well as an overall buff to the default health, plenty of long-awaited updates were included in the patch. However, players believe that the game’s Armor Plates have essentially been hit with nerf in the new Season 2 Reloaded update – with the changes leaving the game with fewer plates than before. On social media, one Warzone fan pointed out that before the update, a player with a full Armor Satchel would drop eight plates and a Satchel containing an additional eight plates when they died. However, new changes to Satchels now let you ground loot them, even if you currently have one equipped – so now that same player only drops eight plates in their satchel which can be looted by all players. In essence, the update has left the battle royale with fewer Armor Plates overall – leaving some players baffled. While there are now fewer Armor Plates in the game, the changes actually make more sense according to some: “Exactly my thoughts when everyone was excited about the change. It makes more sense now, but it is fewer plates overall.” “I don’t have any issues. Armor Plates were everywhere in my opinion,” another player added. Others noted that the Satchels giving an additional eight Armor Plates was a bug in the first place, but the devs never got around to fixing it: “To be fair, Raven Software said the satchel setting you to full was unintentional back in the day but never bothered touching it.” The Season 2 Reloaded patch hasn’t exactly been well received by fans so far, with some claiming the battle royale is a “mess” after the update and ‘unplayable’ once again. However, the devs are still yet to respond to backlash from the community.

  • Warzone players beg Raven Software to remove “Big Berthas” from Solo lobbies – Dexerto

Warzone players beg Raven Software to remove “Big Berthas” from Solo lobbies ActivisionTrucks have become more and more prominent through Warzone Season 3, with players now begging Raven Software to remove the ‘Big Berthas’ from Solo playlists. Vehicles have almost always been a popular attraction in Call of Duty’s battle royale. Nabbing one early, dropping a Trophy System on top, and cruising through Verdansk can be the most efficient way of hunting down kills. However, Cargo Trucks in particular have become increasingly prominent over the past few weeks. With Season 3 now in full swing, Berthas have taken hold of the Solo meta. Just about everyone is dropping in and immediately looking to secure one of the six-wheelers. It’s gotten to the point where if you’re left stranded, the lobby is more or less unwinnable. “The current state of Warzone Solos,” one player showcased on Reddit with a clip of five Berthas grouped together. They weren’t attacking each other as the most effective means of securing a win is to simply wait in the vehicle as the circle shrinks. Due to their tanky build, Cargo Trucks can sustain a huge amount of damage. Any players on the ground will need to get lucky in killing the driver. That, or work together to disable even just one of the late-game behemoths. “If you have a Bertha, drive in circles and hope the zone pulls to you,” Reddit user ‘CitizenKeane’ explained in the comments. Unsurprisingly, the community is demanding trucks be removed from Solos altogether. Even as far back as March, players have been sounding the alarm on the Bertha meta. “It’s impossible to counter this,” players explained, asking Raven Software to pull the controversial vehicles. While the devs are yet to address the issue head on, outright disabling Berthas wouldn’t be a first. In fact, vehicles have been removed from Warzone a number of times in the past. At various stages early on, armored trucks were simply all too powerful. Other times, vehicles were disabled due to game-breaking bugs. Removing them from Solos in Season 3 wouldn’t be an unprecedented move. With enough demand from the community, perhaps it’s only a matter of time until the Bertha controversy comes to an end.
