  • Warzone fans frustrated as “broken” Kar98 & Swiss are stronger than ever on Caldera – Dexerto

Warzone fans frustrated as “broken” Kar98 & Swiss are stronger than ever on Caldera ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are frustrated, believing the Kar98k and Swiss K31 rifles are stronger than ever thanks to Caldera’s vast open spaces. When it was announced the Warzone would be shifting away from Verdansk and bringing in a new map alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard, players were pretty excited about what was in-store. However, ever since the integration, players have had a myriad of complaints about different things. Many are concerned by the pacing of games, others are not massive fans of the layout of Caldera, and some don’t want to mix and match the Vanguard Royale and normal BR modes. The latter issue is causing headaches for other players too, given that the normal BR modes allow them to use Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons on Caldera, and it seems to be making them a little stronger than before. According to some players, the Kar98 and Swiss K31 – which have both been incredibly strong in Warzone for quite some time – are causing chaos on Caldera due to the big change in their ADS times versus the sniper rifles from Vanguard. Caldera snipers have ridiculously slow ADS speeds and they’re not as great to use as the Swiss/Kar/AX-50/HDR,” pointed out Warzone player harshmangat. “Broken snipers just do not work well in Caldera, they’re not fun to go up against.” Other players quickly agreed, noting they’ve fallen victim to the Kar and Swiss more than anything else in recent games. “Agreed 1000% – Kar/Swiss is just too easy to use and pretty much 9/10 times I died this week was to a Kar/Swiss,” said one. “I’ve stopped playing warzone since they took out vanguard royale. the Kar and Swiss are a big reason,” added another. While players are frustrated by the classic weapons being so good, some prefer that to the meta that has sprung up with Vanguard’s weapons. “Kar98K/Swiss are easy to use on Caldera, but I’d rather deal with those than the insta-death laser beam called Bren,” added another player. As things continue to shake out, weapon balancing will happen, and if Raven’s data suggests that the older weapons are still too strong, they’ll be tweaked. For now, though, the old faithful will reign supreme.

  • Warzone fans enact vigilante justice as devs fail to fix exploitable truck glitch – Dexerto

Warzone fans enact vigilante justice as devs fail to fix exploitable truck glitch ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s players have become so accustomed to an unaddressed truck glitch (enabling cheaters to move through walls and become invisible) that they are adapting and enacting karmic justice. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When Verdansk gives you cheaters, you make an example out of them. That is precisely what is happening in Call of Duty’s battle royale, as players are opting to take matters into their own hands and defeat cheaters on their own terms. There is a notorious glitch in Warzone where someone can park a Cargo Truck adjacent to a locked storage facility in Promenade and, upon exiting the vehicle, teleport through the wall and into the tiny room. Once in the room, the cheater can see, and shoot, through the walls surrounding them — absolutely confusing the life out of enemies (who cannot see or shoot through those same walls). But, familiar with the exploit, some of the game’s players have taken up ways to counteract these cheaters. Reddit’s ‘precipue’ is the most visible vigilante at the moment, and they have a simple message for those who wish to unfairly abuse the bugged battle royale: “I know it when I see it.” In a short clip, precipue notices a truck adjacent to the glitched structure, double-checks on their Heartbeat Sensor that said structure is being abused and then proceeds to deliver karma. As fans of Batman know all too well, vigilantes often operate outside of the realm of the law, so it should be no surprise that precipue decides to abuse the exploit themself in order to remove the aforementioned cheater from their lobby. The deliverer of justice hops into the truck, out into the bugged storage room, quickly kills the cheater and then hops back out to a world with a little less evil. As evidenced by the Reddit comments, it’s clear that the CoD community is content with players abusing a bug if it’s solely to defeat a cheater. Other comments suggested an alternative method to dispose of these bug exploiters: simply driving the truck away so that they become trapped inside with no recourse should the gas fall out of their favor. Read more: When will the DMR be nerfed? – Until Treyarch and Raven Software address this glitch, it appears that the Wild West of Verdansk will be subjected to some degree of Promenade villainy. As long as that’s the case, it will be up to Warzone’s players to enact their own vengeance upon wrongdoers.

  • Warzone fans divided over Fortnite-esque “teddy bear skins” in Season 6 Battle Pass – Dexerto

Warzone fans divided over Fortnite-esque “teddy bear skins” in Season 6 Battle Pass ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 6 Battle Pass and cosmetic bundles have been revealed. But players have focused on one divisive set of skins, which combine elements of teddy bears, pandas, and “The Purge.” Some people like realism in their virtual shooting games. Some people prefer arcade vibes. And a lot of people play Warzone, so it should be no surprise that content reactions can be mixed. That’s the case with Season 6’s Battle Pass, which is the final season in Black Ops Cold War’s Warzone integration. After seeing a trailer and shots of the cosmetics coming, the game’s fans can’t come to a consensus on a new set of skins. The skins are three differently colored tactical combatants wearing… bear masks. And they’re way closer to furries than the Mara “cat girl” Operator. But there’s a touch of “Purge” in there, some humor, and a lot of room for debate. Warzone Season 6 Battle Pass “teddy bear” skins As you can see in the picture above, there are three cartoonish characters coming to Verdansk. One is a black and white panda (with “panda” written across his chest), another is blue, and the last is red. Each has a sweet little “Hello” sticker with a heart on their belly. But, while some players like the goofy skins, others are less enthused. In the replies to CharlieIntel’s tweet, opinions are as mixed as they come. One user said “the Panda dude [is] amazing” and another called the full trio “actually heat.” Others chimed in with similar sentiments, calling them “gas,” “dope,” and ‘the new meta.’ Warzone players divided over “teddy bear” skins Yet, as a quality reminder of Warzone’s undeniable community diversity, a lot of players were not supportive. One particularly incensed user summed up concerns: “teddy bear skins … what a joke, so Fortnite-ish.” And others agreed, calling them some combination of “circus skins,” “stupid,” and “dumb as f**k.” Overall, it’s easy to see that people are pretty divided about the panda trio. That might give a mental edge to those who use the Operators, though. Season 6 releases on October 7, at which point you can grind for the teddy bears and prepare to annoy enemies.

  • Warzone fans discover fastest way to level guns on Rebirth Island “in 30 minutes” – Dexerto

Warzone fans discover fastest way to level guns on Rebirth Island “in 30 minutes” ActivisionWith Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta shifting frequently due to new patches, players are racing to level their weapons. Fortunately, fans exposed one of the fastest and best ways to level guns on Rebirth Island – and it only takes “30 minutes.” In the past, Warzone fans complained that metas existed for too long and made the game stale. But, with Warzone Pacific, sentiments have gone in the opposite direction. After near-instant nerfs to guns like the Automaton, BAR, and Cooper Carbine (among others), players are now annoyed that they can’t keep up with the meta. With 70 levels per Vanguard weapon, it’s a race to fully grind guns out and use them before they get nerfed. There was a 4XP bug that made life easier, but it’s already been patched out. Which leads us to another strategy on Rebirth Island. According to fans, this method is the fastest of all and you just need a friend and some 2XP tokens. Warzone’s fastest way to level guns on Rebirth Island As posted by ‘JustLawlyOnTwitch,’ the Rebirth Island method is similar to the Plunder one (before it got patched out). Basically, you just need to slap on a 2XP: Weapons token, drop in with a teammate, grab a helicopter (and the gun you want to level), then start hitting Supply Runs. Unlike every other mode, Supply Runs are incredibly easy to complete in Rebirth since it’s a smaller map and they’ll often bring you back to the exact same spot. So, one player can move around in the helicopter grabbing contracts, while the other stays on the Buy Station ready to complete it. Lawly claims this method is “faster than Vanguard multiplayer” and that you can max level up a gun in around 30 minutes doing it. Others have suggested similarly, but given a slightly longer hour estimate for how long it takes. In the replies to Lawly, people are already asking that fans “don’t make this public” because of fears an “emergency patch update” will deploy. But it’s still an option for now, you just need to have a friend who’s down to grind and the stealth to avoid any hungry Rebirth Island enemies. If it does get patched out, like Plunder did, then feel free to check out our list of the other best ways to level Vanguard guns in Warzone.

  • Warzone fans demand overhaul for report system as cheaters run wild – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand overhaul for report system as cheaters run wild ActivisionThe Warzone community continues to be filled with hackers that are ruining the gaming experience for everyone else. According to players, reporting these hackers is seemingly useless as nothing ever happens, so they want change. Call of Duty Warzone has seen massive success given that it is free-to-play for all people, but that also means that cheaters can easily influence the game. Raven Software are claiming they ban accounts and in their latest sweep they claimed to have banned another 50,000+ accounts, but the community doesn’t feel like that did anything to benefit the game. Players have the option to report a player in-game that they are spectating if they think that person is hacking. However, the community demands that there is some change to the way in-game reporting works as the current system is seemingly broken. In-game report system needs overhaul Warzone players have continued to voice their concerns about the scale of hacking in-game and want to be able to influence it themselves. ‘WavingBuddy’ on Reddit started a community-wide discussion about the report system and how to improve it. Players were comparing Warzone to other games where you’ll receive a message that tells you something similar to“Your report has resulted in a ban, thank you.” The community wants a similar kind of feature so that you get instant feedback on whether your report was successful or not. Some fans believe this would entice players to report alleged cheaters more often rather than being downbeat about them. One Redditor brought up the shadow-ban system and questioned why Warzone doesn’t use it more effectively. “You can’t even get cheaters shadow banned from pure reports anymore though that used to work when 10+ people reported them in ‘x’ minutes,” they said. Another player says the system is working as intended and mocks Raven Software saying that no one got banned so you wouldn’t receive a message thanking you for your report. It is unknown how exactly in-game reports are relayed to the dev team and what actually is done about them. Overall Warzone players are concerned that if there isn’t a better way to get cheaters out of the game then there could be a decrease in the player base.

  • Warzone fans demand Nail Gun nerf as “troll weapon” becomes OP – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand Nail Gun nerf as “troll weapon” becomes OP Activision / TreyarchWarzone’s Season 4 updated added the Nail Gun to the game’s ever-growing arsenal, but players are now asking for Raven to nerf it just days after its release. The Nail Gun is one of the three guns to be released in Season 4 of Warzone, joining the likes of the MG 82 LMG and C58 Assault Rifle. While Raven Software has already announced that the MG 82 will be getting a nerf, it looks like the Nail Gun has slipped under the radar. Unlike both the new LMG AR, the Nail Gun doesn’t feature any attachments. However, this hasn’t stopped this pint-sized tool from wreaking havoc across Verdansk. Despite lacking decent range and a slow fire rate, the Nail Gun can quickly punch a hole through even the game’s most well-armored foes. Does the Nail Gun need a nerf? The Nail Gun can down an opponent within four shots, making it extremely lethal in short engagement ranges. If this wasn’t enough, its mobility is incredibly high, which gives players the opportunity to aggressively rush their opponents and deliver speedy flanks. It’s these strengths that have led many Warzone players to call for a nerf. “It’s a troll weapon meant entirely for p***ing around in 6v6 multiplayer,” says Damien23123. “It’s got no place being a meta SMG in a BR game. It should be nerfed to the point where it’s unusable as a proper SMG.” Raven Software has been quick to address the new MG 82 after players noted how lethal it was, but it looks like the Nail Gun has managed to escape the nerf gun. While it may be seen as a “troll weapon” by some, it doesn’t mean it can’t compete with the current meta SMGs. In fact, the Nail Gun has proven that it can go above and beyond them. “It might be fun as a headshot-oriented weapon with terrible accuracy outside of 5-10 meters, low chest damage, and almost no extremity damage,” says Exxxtra_Dippp. It’s a troll weapon to begin with. Make the damage profile compliment that.” Whether the Warzone developers will make any adjustments to the Nail Gun remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like players will have to take extra care when engaging in close-quarter fights.

  • Warzone fans demand floor loot changes after “horrible” M60 & 1911 issues – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand floor loot changes after “horrible” M60 & 1911 issues Activision / TreyarchHaving a decent floor loot gun you can rely on in Warzone is incredibly important, but the Season 3 Reloaded update has drastically changed that. Every Warzone Season brings something new to the table. From deadly weapons to POIs, there’s always plenty of new content for players to discover. While the Season 3 Reloaded update has brought some incredibly fun additions, it has also introduced a number of frustrating features. The main one being that of the terrible floor loot. Just like every battle royale title, Warzone features a wide variety of guns that players can find scattered around Verdansk. Obtaining decent floor loot is particularly important, especially in the first few minutes when loadouts aren’t readily available. In fact, the guns you find will largely define the outcome of the next firefight, which makes finding a decent weapon all the more important. Unfortunately, the addition of the M1911 and M60 as floor loot has had a negative impact on these early-game firefights. Not only are both these guns incredibly common, but they are also some of the most unusable weapons in the game. In fact, things have gotten so bad that Warzone players have started to voice their frustrations online. “There’s literally no good reason for there to be four variations of the starter pistol on ground loot,” says PearkerJK12. “Especially since one of the variations is literally the starter pistol.” There’s certainly no denying how frustrating it is when you up a sidearm, only to be gunned down by a player with an AR. However, the sheer amount of pistols and M60’s are making early-game firefights incredibly tiresome. “In a season where the ground loot has been horrible, it would be nice to cut the sh*t and give us something decent to land on and remove the starter pistols from the ground,” ends PearkerJK12. The majority of replies agreed that the M60 is “absolutely terrible” with one player noting that they’d “rather take my chances with the 1911 than pick up one of the ground M60s.” Aside from the Bullfrog, PPSH, MAC-10, and XM4 – there appears to be very little floor loot consistency in Season 3. “Problem is the drop rates are all f***ed, says AN_Ohio_State. “I find 10 Hauers, 10 M60s, 5 revolvers, 3 1911s, and a few RPDs before I find a usable f***ing weapon. Makes resetting from the gulag or hot dropping a f***king nightmare. Whether Raven Software will adjust the floor loot to address this issue remains to be seen, but for now, you’ll need to get used to the M60 and 1911.

  • Warzone fans demand fix for Riot Shield invincibility bug again – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand fix for Riot Shield invincibility bug again Treyarch/ActivisionDespite affecting the Warzone community for countless seasons, the invincibility glitch is still a huge issue in Season 6 and players are demanding a fix. While Warzone remains one of the most popular battle royales in the genre, it’s garnered a reputation for the countless bugs and exploits that regularly affect the gameplay experience. Although the devs attempt to patch these issues out of the game, a lot of the serious glitches seem to pop back up over and over again. One of which is the infamous Riot Shield explosion bug, which makes any player affected completely unkillable and immune to any kind of damage. Well, the glitch has raised its head again in Season 6 and the community is demanding a fix from Raven Software ahead of the Season 7 update. Warzone’s invincibility glitch is still affecting players As showcased by a thread posted to the CODWarzone Reddit by Lma0-Zedong over five months ago, the Riot Shield invincibility glitch has been a serious problem in-game for multiple seasons. It occurs when a player wielding a Riot Shield is shot by the Rytec with explosive rounds or a Combat Bow. For whatever reason, the interaction causes the player to become completely invulnerable to damage, making it impossible for opponents to take them down. Now, in Season 6, the bug is being posted regularly to the game’s subreddit, with players abusing the exploit to pick up wins with no competition. Saramdee was left in a 1v1 for the victory in their Warzone match when they ran into an opponent with the “godmode” glitch. In the comments, users pointed out that the bug had been an issue in Warzone for a long time and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get fixed anytime soon, despite it being a game-breaking issue. “This is the riot shield bug that has existed for a while… Get killed with combat bow or apparently the Rytec exploding rounds and you can’t die,” a player explained. Other users simply expressed their disappointment over the developers being part of a “Triple-A company” that isn’t fixing the core issues players are experiencing. Either way, as this bug has been running rampant for multiple seasons, it’s unlikely a solution will arrive in the near future.

  • Warzone fans demand explanation from Biffle for viral “hacking” clips – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand explanation from Biffle for viral “hacking” clips Activision / DiazBiffle / PexelsCall of Duty: Warzone’s history with hackers makes it easy to suspect talented players of cheating. Biffle, one of the game’s best, is now feeling that heat as fans await answers after some suspicious clips went viral. Warzone pro DiazBiffle has arguably been one of the best players in Warzone since the game was released. He’s found himself on Dexerto’s top 10 multiple times and even put on a show at the Baka WonderLAN. However, with all of the success he’s had in the battle royale, the community has kept a keen eye on his gameplay for anything fishy. While he had dealt with hackusations in the past, he cleared those relatively quick. But now, a clip from a January 12 stream has fans questioning everything. Warzone fans seek answers after suspicious Biffle clips The most recent clip in question can be seen above. Biffle is in a Quads game with his Baka Bros and Swagg when the suspicion struck. While pursuing a gunfight, Biff slid out into the open, saw nothing, but when he shot his gun he picked up a few hitmakers. Swagg was mindblown by this and immediately said, “what was that? What was that, D?” Biffle himself seemed a little surprised and laughed it off. “I don’t know where the f**k he is, to be honest.” A viewer in his chat didn’t waste any time to call his bluff, claiming he had “Magnetic bullets.” Another person commented, “In .25x on the slow-mo you see the bullet hit the wall, definitely silent aim.” The community was quick to throw the star under the bus, unconvinced despite his performance on LAN. There’s another clip that players have been digging up, too. This came from a Swagg reaction video posted on December 25 and the play is certainly an eye-opener. In the clip, Biffle absolutely destroyed a player by tracking them through stairs and got the kill without seeing them. Stunned by the older play, Swagg wondered how he could even defend his teammate: “I can’t explain that I can’t… Like how do I defend that?” At the time of writing this, Biffle hasn’t commented on the clips in question. All in all, this could all be an overreaction, as we know Warzone has invisible operator bugs or he could simply be that good at the game. But one thing is certain, the community won’t let it go until they know the truth.

  • Warzone fans demand Combat Scout changes amid “unbalanced” perk meta – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand Combat Scout changes amid “unbalanced” perk meta Raven SoftwareSome Call of Duty: Warzone fans still want Combat Scout to be changed as they’re “forced” to use Cold Blooded as a counter, taking away variety from loadouts. In the past year, Warzone has undergone some pretty drastic changes, with many of these aimed at shaking up the weapon and loadout meta in the battle royale. One of the biggest changes was the introduction of two Warzone-specific perks – Combat Scout and Tempered – with the former becoming a huge annoyance for players as it gave away their position when shot, if only briefly. Upon release, the perk was branded “horrific” and “overpowered” by players and content creators alike, and their hands were basically forced into running Cold Blooded as a hard counter. Though, that has continued to upset Warzone fans. The Combat Scout perk is still run by plenty of players – having a nearly 30% pick rate according to stats from WZRanked – and complaints are still pretty common, even from those who run the perk in their loadouts. Redditor zfluffz again touched on the topic of the perk’s power, claiming that it is still “OP” regardless of any counters that players may use. “Being forced to pick one perk (to counter) is unbalanced. Like how suppressors are OP because you are forced to use them on every single build, or how dead silence is OP because only one perk counters it,” they said. Some players quickly agreed, with one noting that the perk gives players an offensive boost – which they probably didn’t need – and others saying that running the perk with FMJ can be ridiculously powerful. Of course, not everyone agrees with that sentiment and will just run Cold Blooded regardless, but then again that plays into the point about things becoming stale because you’re only using one perk. Not everyone will go along with the meta and may even choose three of the lesser picked perks, but it’s clear that certain groups of players want at least some changes to be made.

  • Warzone fans demand CoD Mobile blueprint feature – Dexerto

Warzone fans demand CoD Mobile blueprint feature ActivisionWarzone weapon blueprints get crazier each year, such as the Godzilla vs. King Kong crossover and a new Terminator Skin coming soon. Players want a better way of showing off their unique weapon skins, and that feature already exists in CoD Mobile. CoD Mobile boasts an impressive player count, and the free-to-play mobile game is not just a carbon copy of Warzone. CoD Mobile is a massive title that has some remarkable features Warzone doesn’t even offer. A slight problem for weapon blueprints in Warzone is when you equip different attachments than the original blueprint attachments; the gun loses its appearance. CoD Mobile has a solution to this issue, and Warzone fans want it implemented. CoD Mobile’s weapon blueprint solution A Reddit user made a thread discussing weapon blueprints and said, “I find it funny that a free-to-play game has a solution for weapon blueprint attachments, but Vanguard and Warzone don’t.” The CoD Mobile feature allows players to change a weapon’s attachments without the weapon blueprint changing. For example, if you put a drum magazine on the weapon above, the gun wouldn’t visually have a drum magazine in-game. One user explained the feature by saying, “Ice Drake Mastercraft looks cool, but meta attachments completely butcher the appearance. With the default look button, you can use the meta attachments while keeping the appearance of the attachments the blueprint came with.” A second person added the feature, “definitely should be in the game.” Warzone players would no longer have to pick and choose weapon blueprints based on the blueprints’ original attachments. It will be interesting to see if Warzone 2 offers a similar feature.

  • Warzone fans deem Rebirth Island kill counter “fake” for community challenge – Dexerto

Warzone fans deem Rebirth Island kill counter “fake” for community challenge ActivisionWarzone Season 2 Reloaded introduced the Community Challenge, where players need to combine forces and complete tasks to unlock rewards. However, fans are convinced that the objective is impossible to do and the kill counter is fake. When the mid-season update was released on March 23 Warzone, players were treated to a handful of Rebirth content. From new POIs to hidden vaults, there is a lot to unpack. Part of this included the community challenge event, which is being used to unlock rewards like the Weapon Trade System. However, to complete this Rebirth players need to combine for 20 billion kills, but the Warzone community thinks it’s fake. Warzone players call out “fake” kill tracker In a Reddit post by ‘DefunctHunk_COD’ the user brings up that Raven Software must be making up numbers as “there’s no f**king way” they’re halfway done with the first challenge. When you log into Warzone you can view the progress that the community has made, and after two days, it read 10 billion kills, which seems absurd. Hunk said that he believes that it’s going up a “predetermined rate” to encourage people to play. One Redditor even took it as far as doing the math and “proving” that it’s fake. They took the active player amount on a Friday night, which was about 300k. If a player is dying once a minute for an entire day then that is 432 million kills a day. And since the update was released March 23, that means this is well under the 10 billion that it currently reads at the time of writing this. The community isn’t sold on them actually doing anything to accomplish this and feels that Raven Software is just adding numbers randomly to make them think “they’re contributing to a common goal.” Warzone devs haven’t addressed this, but based on the math, players aren’t sold on being at 10 billion kills in just two days.

  • Warzone fans convinced that streamers use VPNs to find easier lobbies – Dexerto

Warzone fans convinced that streamers use VPNs to find easier lobbies Activision / AsusWarzone players are constantly bringing up new conspiracy theories to debunk methods to get easier lobbies, but now fans are convinced that streamers are just using VPNs to do so. When loading into a Warzone game, players are matched up with others to fill out the 150 slots. Each of those opponents has a K/D ratio and the game is supposed to find the fairest lobby possible for all players. However, when OpTic Hitch tweeted asking if streamers are using VPNs it would appear that nearly everyone is sold on the fact popular streamers are using this method. what % of warzone content creators do you think use a VPN to find easier lobbies in non-competitive games? answer honestly. i want to see what everyone’s opinions are — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) December 27, 2021 Warzone players think streamers use VPNs for easy lobbies In the past, Warzone devs were accused of “whitelisting” streamers so they could get easier lobbies and put on a show for their audience. However, people are now convinced that it is just VPN usage from these popular Warzone personalties. VPNs allow you to set your location to a specific place in the world and only get games on those servers. This means that streamers can get into lobbies in smaller regions and different time zones, which could mean finding lower K/D lobbies. In response to Hitch’s tweet, numerous people replied that they think the majority of streamers are using VPNs to put them in “bot lobbies.” A lot brother…i get min 1.3-1.5 every single lobby I feel like im scrimming all day — Josiah Berry (@Slacked) December 27, 2021 Comments ranged from, “The vast majority,” to “10% max,” but the common ground is that people believe that there are streamers using it. One person even claimed to have been using a VPN themself and running into some top names. “I got in a VPN lobby with WarsZ, bbreadman, and JoeWo, so one of them definitely.” We can check WZ Stats and take a look at some of the top players and their recent average K/D lobbies. Most fluctuate throughout the day but fans still think the K/D is too low. There is no way to concretely tell if they are actually using VPNs as they could be using some other tricks like only playing during the morning, but community members are sounding off on the trend.

  • Warzone fans confused by lack of in-game content to celebrate 2-year birthday – Dexerto

Warzone fans confused by lack of in-game content to celebrate 2-year birthday Activision / PexelsCall of Duty: Warzone launched on March 10, 2020 and, on the day of its two-year anniversary, players are absolutely baffled by the absence of any in-game content to celebrate the occasion. It’s no exaggeration to say that Warzone changed the trajectory of the CoD franchise or even that it shifted the gaming and esports landscape overall. It’s been dubbed the most influential Call of Duty title of all time and has awarded nearly $9 million in prizes to tournament competitors, per EsportsEarnings. Despite that level of impact, the second anniversary of Warzone’s launch has seemingly gone unnoticed in the game. Outside of a regularly scheduled playlist update, there isn’t a single in-game change to commemorate the occasion. While social media is lit ablaze with people’s favorite highlights and moments from the title’s past two years, Warzone itself is devoid of celebration. This has left the community perplexed. Warzone fans confused by lack of anniversary content After seeing Warzone’s developers, Raven Software, tweet about the game’s second birthday – Redditors wondered why there was nothing in the game to celebrate. ‘Nintendo_Pro_03’ posted about the tweet, asking “no content for Warzone Pacific to celebrate this?” In response, a number of players gave their explanations for the absence of new in-game content. The top-voted reply had a simple reaction to the situation: “New content means more bugs. We already have so many bugs to deal with!” Another agreed, noting that – even if there was new in-game content to celebrate – players would simply “flood the comments” demanding that the devs fixed other issues first. While one user noted that there’s no precedent for celebrating Warzone’s birthday in-game, others still seemed to have their hopes dashed. A number of players were wishing for a new map, or even for Verdansk to return as a limited-time mode.

  • Call of Duty fans concerned WW2 integration could be the “death” of Warzone – Dexerto

Call of Duty fans concerned WW2 integration could be the “death” of Warzone Activision / Sledgehammer GamesAs we inch ever closer to CoD Vanguard’s release, many Warzone players are concerned over the imminent WW2 weapon integration. Call of Duty Vanguard aims to transport us back to the brutal yet familiar settings of WW2, giving players the chance to add classic guns to their loadouts. While Warzone features a number of classic weapons, the popular BR currently focuses on modern-day guns and equipment. However, this will change when Vanguard releases later this year. Just like Black Ops Cold War’s integration, Sledgehammer will be aiming to implement devastating weaponry from the 1940s conflict. Guns like the Thompson SMG and M1 Garand rifle will likely see action in Warzone, but many CoD fans are concerned that this integration could upset the balance of the game. Warzone and Vanguard weapon integration “The very thought of WW2 guns flooding the game like with Cold War or going back in time just sounds like the death of Warzone,” said RelationshipOne2969. “Most of the WW2 guns are totally inferior but for performance sake, they will be buffed to ridiculous levels to make them viable and sell blueprints.” Read More: Activision provides CoD Vanguard update – This sentiment was also shared by a lot commenters, who also highlighted just how broken Black Ops Cold War’s guns were upon release. In fact, the vast majority of Cold War’s weapons underperformed in every category until the developers buffed them. Since then, there have been numerous balance issues that have impacted the current health of Warzone’s meta. Fans also noted that seeing WW2 weapons outper4form their modern counterparts would just feel strange. “It’s just thematically weird seeing an StG outperform something like a SG 556 (Grau) in every aspect,” says GigaNiko. “I don’t really care about realism, but still, at least balance MW weapons a bit on par with CW (and future WW2) guns. Everyone knows they will nerf the sh*t out of CW guns so people would start using WW2 guns and perhaps buy new CoD.” There are also fears surrounding weapon attachments and how the gunsmith will work with these classic guns. Quite how smoothly Vanguard’s integration into Warzone remains to be seen, but for now, it seems fans are extremely hesitant.

  • Warzone fans blast devs for removing fast weapon level grind modes & methods – Dexerto

Warzone fans blast devs for removing fast weapon level grind modes & methods ActivisionThe removal of core game modes from Warzone’s playlists continues to anger the community, with many now calling for changes to current LTMs. Warzone’s Plunder game mode has been popular amongst fans since its introduction to the game. This is partly down to the constant respawns, quick firefights, and the ability to level up guns fast. It’s because of these features that modes like Plunder are used by many players to grind out attachments. However, with the arrival of the new Ghosts of Verdansk event, Activision has removed Plunder and other casual modes from the playlist. Not only has this made it increasingly difficult for players to level up weapons, but it has also sparked outrage amongst the community. Warzone players outraged by constant mode removal For many Warzone players, Plunder-style modes provide a more casual approach to combat when compared to the highly competitive nature of the game’s quads and trios. Not only do constant respawns make getting kills and leveling up guns faster, but it also enables players to practice certain mechanics. Read More: Aydan unveils best MP5 Warzone loadout – Even if you happen to die, you’ll be thrust straight back into the action with your desired loadout in no time. However, the recent removal of Plunder has sparked outrage from members of the Warzone community. “I get that [Plunder is] not everybody’s favorite, but plenty of us did like it,” explained Badsamm. “Why the constant f***ing with all the game modes, when they rarely get better? Never in my life have I paid to play a game only to have it taken from me. What the f**k is that?” Players currently believe that either Plunder, Clash, Payload, Kingslayer, or Rumble should be active at all times. This would help players that don’t own Cold War and Modern Warfare to level up guns and stay up to date with the current meta weapons. “I just want them to always have a mode available that has unconditional respawns with loadouts for casuals like myself,” replied Hexent_Armana. It doesn’t really matter which one to me as long as one of them is available. Battle Royale is a neat concept but the loop gets boring fast.” Plunder will likely return after the Ghosts of Verdansk mode has wrapped up, but for now, Warzone players will have to use other game modes to level up their loadouts.

  • Warzone fans baffled by invisible gas bug ruining matches – Dexerto

Warzone fans baffled by invisible gas bug ruining matches ActivisionWarzone players have been left frustrated by another obnoxious (emphasis on noxious) bug in Caldera, this time relating to invisible gas clouds forming and damaging unaware players. Despite the excitement that surrounded Caldera and Warzone Pacific more broadly, fans of the CoD battle royale have mainly been left disappointed by the changes as a plethora of unwelcome bugs and glitches surface in-game. We’ve seen Warzone resembling a Nintendo 64 game because of major texture issues on console, as well as cheaters flying in big bertha trucks despite RICOCHET anti-cheat supposedly being in full force. Now, players have been drawing attention to another problem, this time relating to invisible gas clouds. Redditor ‘mario135790‘ shared a clip from a game of Plunder in which they kept taking damage from invisible gas clouds. Despite receiving no visible warnings – usually Warzone’s gas is easily identifiable as a putrid green haze – the player continues to receive the small ticks of damage brought about by being stuck in the gas cloud. What’s more is they are nowhere near the shrinking circle of gas designed to funnel players into a smaller and smaller area. Other posts on the game’s subreddit reflected similar problems, as players take damage from invisible gas clouds that seemingly spawn out of nowhere. Although a cause is not entirely clear, some players who had experienced the bug claimed it stems from players using Stopping Power rounds and killing opponents with them. It’s obviously an unintended bug, made all the more difficult to avoid because of the invisibility of the gas. At the time of writing, Raven have not responded to the problems specifically, but they have confirmed Warzone and Vanguard Season 2 is delayed to allow the relevant studios time to firefight and improve Warzone’s quality. This is just another problem to add to the list.

  • Warzone fans argue that Black Ops Cold War’s guns should be removed – Dexerto

Warzone fans argue that Black Ops Cold War’s guns should be removed Freepik, @drobotdean / ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s fans are reacting to weeks of meta concerns and bugs by engaging in a large, heated debate about repealing Black Ops Cold War’s integration and removing all BOCW guns from Verdansk. An active community is a talkative community and, at the very least, Warzone can certainly appreciate a fanbase that has… a lot to say. Across social media, the CoD battle royale’s players have ramped up discourse in the weeks since Treyarch and Raven Software’s BOCW integrated with Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare-based Warzone. Now, following surges on Twitter, and a Reddit thread with hundreds of comments and thousands of upvotes/downvotes alike, concerned fans have keyed in on one prominent suggestion: to repeal integration and remove BOCW’s guns entirely. While this idea may not be realistic one, it embodies a period of frustration with numerous bugs and overpowered gun concerns after their inclusion. As such, the heated argument has found moments of nuance beneath the generally reductionist sentiment. A meme shared across both Warzone subreddits proffers a simple solution to help the battle royale return to its glory days: “Repeal and replace the Cold War integration.” With thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments, it appears that weeks of stim-glitch abuse, invisibility bugs and, more importantly, Cold War weapon superiority have truly made an impact on the game’s most active fans. While many commenters do echo the concern, some noting that they “liked Warzone before the Cold War integration,” others have been more accommodating to developers’ efforts. Numerous fans have gone against the post’s grain, arguing that integration is a good thing and that properly balancing the arsenal should be the goal — not outright removing everything. At the heart of controversy is the DMR 14, which has dominated the meta alongside the MAC-10 and dual Diamattis within a few days of BOCW Season 1. Now, numerous updates later, all three guns (as well as the lurking Type 63) have all been nerfed twice — meaning the meta is much more flexible. It remains to be seen if these adjustments will be enough to satiate Warzone’s fans, but they’re, at the very least, a step in the right direction. While perfect balance is as unlikely possibility as Activision fully repealing their new game’s content, there is some middle ground to find in Verdansk.

  • Warzone fans amped after new Season 6 trailer absolutely obliterates Stadium – Dexerto

Warzone fans amped after new Season 6 trailer absolutely obliterates Stadium ActivisionThe new trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 has been revealed and fans are already hype, as the cinematic showed the Stadium (and some of Downtown) POI get absolutely demolished. If you were worried that there would be no changes to Verdansk before Warzone’s integration with CoD Vanguard, we’ve got some good news for you. And, if you’re one of many who dislike the Stadium and Downtown POIs (points of interest), we’ve got even better news. In the brand-new cinematic for Warzone Season 6, fans have noticed that Stadium gets sent to kingdom come with a gigantic explosion — one so big that it seems to trickle into Downtown. That means, even before we get the new Pacific map with Vanguard, a lot of the buildings in Verdansk may be subjected to an early demolition with the new season’s launch on October 7. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 trailer https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1442961615997997056 As you can see in Call of Duty’s official tweet, there’s a lot of narrative elements at play with the new season. Stitch, Adler, and others are messing around with scary explosions and injections and Red Doors and more, but Warzone fans have honed in on the architectural changes. Posted across Twitter, players have noticed that the Stitch-fueled explosion seems to erase Stadium off of the face of Verdansk. Additionally, the rippling blasts tore into the border of Downtown before the clip cut off. Unsurprisingly, this has become an exciting aspect for fans of the game (or former fans who think Verdansk has grown too stale). Warzone Season 6: Stadium, Downtown destroyed Season 6 will most likely be the final time we play on Verdansk. pic.twitter.com/o3ISMD5ZAT — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) September 28, 2021 Overall, the majority of responses are excited for the changes. One user quote-tweeted with pure joy: “watching stadium crumble to the ground makes me happy,” while another’s “GET IT OUTTA HERE” was even more passionate. Still, while most are excited for Verdansk to change, some are a little melancholic about Season 6 being our last on the map. And one user summed it up perfectly. While it is exciting for Warzone to shift into a colorful Pacific map, it’s hard not to remember the good times on Verdansk, where “memories have been made.”

  • Warzone fan theory suggests volcano is set to erupt on Caldera map – Dexerto

Warzone fan theory suggests volcano is set to erupt on Caldera map ActivisionWarzone players have been battling it out on Caldera for months now, but not many of us realized exactly what the name ‘Caldera’ meant. But as uncovered by one savvy fan, it could serve as a major hint towards the future of the map. Even since the transition from Verdansk to Caldera, Warzone players have been divided on the new map. Some felt it was a welcome breath of fresh air for the CoD battle royale, while others have criticized the barren empty spaces it contains. But as is the case in similar games like Fortnite, Caldera will change and evolve as time goes on, with some changes already teased for Warzone Season 2. As pointed out by one fan, the future of Caldera could have been staring us in the face this whole time, and it could prove to be a huge event in the coming months. Reddit user Kaaaaos posted the theory, which revealed the ramifications that Caldera’s name could have on the game. As it turns out, the definition of a caldera is “a large depression formed when a volcano erupts and collapses.” It kickstarted plenty of discussion about what it means for the fate of the map, particularly the Peak POI that can be seen for miles around. The description strongly suggests that the volcano could erupt in-game, then subsequently implode. This would obviously have a huge impact on the map overall but could be the perfect way to overhaul Caldera and address some fan complaints. The destruction of one of Caldera’s largest POIs would certainly have to come as part of a large-scale event. Our best guess would be that it marks the beginning of a new season, or even the move to whichever map follows Caldera in the distant future. Players seemed to agree that some kind of eruption is on the cards. “That would explain the springs around the map. A season 5 volcanic event should be great,” replied one player. “Oh the volcano is 100% gonna erupt, it’s just all too convenient,” said another. Others were less enthused by the possible event. “Calling it now, if they do something like this, the game will be unplayable.” This is, of course, just a fan theory for now, but there’s no doubt that it could make for an interesting event if Raven decides to go with it. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for Caldera.

  • Warzone fan creates Stranger Things crossover with gruesome Vecna finisher – Dexerto

Warzone fan creates Stranger Things crossover with gruesome Vecna finisher Activision / NetflixNetflix’s Stranger Things is one of the biggest TV shows on the planet, especially after the runaway success of Season 4, and one Warzone player has paid tribute to the show by creating a truly brutal finisher inspired by Vecna. Warzone is no stranger to a crossover with popular franchises. The Verdansk days saw the CoD battle royale made use of 80s action heroes like John McClane and Rambo, while Season 3 on Caldera came with a Godzilla x King King event. While some have been more well-received than others, there’s clearly a large portion of the playerbase that loves to see Raven embrace its inner Fortnite. Now, with Stranger Things dominating popular culture, one Warzone fan has taken matters into their own hands and created a finishing move based on Season 4’s villain. Stranger Things villain turned into Warzone finisher If you’ve been on the internet sometime in the last few months, chances are you’ve seen or heard something about Vecna. The terrifying Stranger Things Season 4 baddie made quite a splash as he terrorized the town of Hawkins and threatened to end the world as we know it. Kate Bush aside, one of the most-talked-about elements of the show is the utterly brutal way he claims his victims. Reddit user Mistakingcone99 used this as the basis for a Warzone Finishing Move, which he then shared a clip of. Fans will instantly recognize the appearance of the grandfather clock, as it was the chimes of a similar clock that signaled Vecna’s arrival during the series. This was followed by the uncomfortable cracking of bones as they telepathically held their enemy in the sky. Although the user claims it only took them 30 minutes to throw together, other players were clearly impressed by the proposed finisher and seemed to welcome the idea of a Warzone x Stranger Things crossover. “This is pretty cool and I’d definitely want a Murray skin,” said one reply. “Brutal! I love it,” said another. With Stranger Things Season 4 already out, sadly, it’s unlikely we’ll see any official crossovers between the show and Warzone. We’ll have to wait and see if Raven has any plans in the pipeline for Season 4 Reloaded and beyond.

  • Warzone fan confused as bug transforms purchased skin into “strong woman” – Dexerto

Warzone fan confused as bug transforms purchased skin into “strong woman” Activision / PexelsCall of Duty: Warzone is full of purchasable bundles with exciting cosmetics. But one player isn’t so excited by their Zeyna operator skin, as it seems to be glitched and is turning the character into a “strong woman.” Whether you support cosmetic microtransactions or not, there’s a timeless saying that “you get what you pay for.” And, as it turns out, that expression doesn’t always hold up in the trenches of Warzone. A Redditor named ‘SpiritualJoke8’ learned this the hard way, as their recent purchase turned into an accidental prank. Instead of getting to use the intimidating Zeyna Paladin Operator skin (from the Honor Bound Tracer bundle), a weird glitch has other plans. Now, SpiritualJoke is asking people for help. Their friends are calling the Operator “strong woman,” but they don’t seem content with the game’s bugged alteration to their purchase. Warzone’s bugged Zeyna Paladin skin First things first, take a peek at what Zeyna’s Paladin skin is supposed to look like. She’s got armor, a faux hawk, and – a glistening cherry on top – shining golden eyes. It’s very magical, very mythical, and very mighty. Now, let’s check out what SpiritualJoker ended up with. While they originally intended to purchase a golden-eyed, presumably strong woman, a Warzone bug amped things up a little. Warzone’s new microtransaction bug: “Strong woman” As you can see, while the Zeyna Paladin skin definitely has the same armor, the golden eyes are missing. In fact, the entire head is missing, replaced with MW19’s default Mil-Sim Coalition operator’s face and upper torso. It’s not a game-breaking bug by any means, but it is most certainly an interesting one. In essence, the glitch gave Zeyna the Frankenstein treatment – combining different body parts to create “strong woman.” Unfortunately, SpiritualJoker doesn’t seem thrilled with the custom Operator. On the contrary, they have a simple plea for the developers: “I want to be able to enjoy the pack I paid for.”

  • Warzone fan comes up with troll equipment idea to weaponize Numbers event in-game – Dexerto

Warzone fan comes up with troll equipment idea to weaponize Numbers event in-game Pexels / ActivisionA creative Call of Duty: Warzone fan has figured out a clever way to turn a negative into a positive. Taking all of Season 5’s Numbers event frustrations, a Redditor has come up with a new equipment idea that could honestly work. The Season 5 Numbers event wasn’t particularly loved by most players. Some thought it was boring and unimaginative, others said the volume was way too loud, and many simply found the whole thing annoying. But you know what else is annoying? Flashbangs and Stun Grenades. Except they’re actually supposed to be frustrating, which led Reddit’s ‘thebestspeler’ down an interesting path. Instead of sitting in pain, working on lowering their headphone volume, speler went ahead and got to thinking. If the Numbers event is unintentionally annoying and certain equipment in the game is intentionally annoying, there’s a chance for synergy. Warzone fan turns Numbers event into in-game equipment Speler brought their new concept to Reddit with a simple title: “I have terrible game ideas: Introducing the Numbers Grenade.” Thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments later, it’s clear that the grenade had struck a nerve (with, fortunately, no nerve gas needed). And it proves that simple ideas can get the people talking, as speler basically just copied and pasted the event into an explosive capsule. As the description of the in-game equipment writes, the Numbers Grenade would work much like its namesake: “Deafens enemy with some guy saying numbers and muddies their vision with some matrix crap we found.” Talk about an effective way to troll your opponents, it could even be stronger than the existing methods. In the comments, people played both sides of the spectrum. While some called speler “Satan” and claimed they would immediately quit the game if they got hit with the Numbers Grenade, others said they would be down to equip it. But, for those annoyed by the idea and the event in general, speler added in a nice little touch. There’s a QR code on the nade and, when you scan it, you’re brought to a WebMD page: “How to Handle the Emotions of Hearing Loss.”

  • Warzone fan comes up with ridiculous “Ninja Turtles Challenge” using new Sai weapon – Dexerto

Warzone fan comes up with ridiculous “Ninja Turtles Challenge” using new Sai weapon Activision / ParamountIt’s fun to make your own challenges in Call of Duty: Warzone and one fan has upped the ante with a wild one: the Ninja Turtles Challenge. Based on Season 5 Reloaded’s upcoming Sai weapon, this ought to be one of the funniest challenges yet. There are a lot of Warzone challenges that players mess around with and subscribers force streamers to try out. There’s stuff like the “Protect the President” challenge where one member of a trio wields only a pistol and the other two teammates act like protective secret service members. Another popular one is the “Floor is Lava” challenge, where players need to stay off the ground at all times (using roofs, ladders, and vehicles to move around). But a Redditor by the name of ‘KurtC_Reddit’ has come up with a new, unique challenge that requires usage of Season 5 Reloaded’s Sai melee weapon. It’s called the “Ninja Turtles” challenge and it is… ridiculous. A gang of four, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are composed of four humanoid turtle fellows: MLeonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael. And each one wields a different weapon, Leonardo has twin katanas, Michelangelo has nunchucks, Donatello has a Bo (long staff), and Raphael has dual Sai. As KurtC noticed, Raphael’s Sai is literally coming to Warzone — joining a number of other… similar weapons. With Warzone’s Dual Kodachis for Leonardo, Cane for Donatello, Kali Sticks for Michelangelo, and upcoming Sai, there are now weapons for every Ninja Turtle. So what’s left to do is fairly obvious: a challenge in which each player in a squad of four has to use one of the Turtles’ weapons and try to win a game. Bonus points if you do so with a Riot Shield on your back (as close as we can get to a turtle shell, obviously). The Ninja Turtle Challenge is a pretty funny idea and one that could make for interesting games when Season 5 Reloaded launches. While it doesn’t seem like Vanguard’s map will have the animals it was rumored to, this could be players’ chance to bring nature to Verdansk in advance. If you want to get a leg up on the competition and prepare for this challenge, feel free to check out our guide on how to unlock the Sai melee weapon as soon as it becomes available.

  • Fallout skins leaked and coming soon to Warzone & Modern Warfare 3 – Dexerto

Fallout skins leaked and coming soon to Warzone & Modern Warfare 3 ActivisionFallout-themed Operator skins for an upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 collaboration have leaked. Early in May 2024, dataminers uncovered files that hinted at Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 adding a Fallout crossover. This rumor also pointed to potential collaborations featuring Gundam and The Crow franchises. Thus far, Activision has only confirmed the Gundam crossover, which appears in Season 4 with an event and Operator bundles. The Call of Duty portion of the leak has resurfaced, though, thanks to new information shared by CharlieIntel and ForwardLeaks. Leaked game files reveal a look at the Fallout collab skins, which will see several Call of Duty Operators decked out in blue and yellow Vault 141 skins. According to ForwardLeaks, the Vault Dweller attire will be available in the Tracer Pack: Fallout – Vault Dweller Party Pack bundle for the following Task Force 141 members: Soap, Ghost, Captain Price, and Gaz. Players will need to earn XP to unlock various Fallout rewards. Ghost’s blue and yellow-colored gun in the imagery above suggests the upcoming Fallout crossover will also include weapon skins. Activision has not formally announced the crossover in question. And not even the leaked details hint at when Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players can expect the Fallout content to actually arrive in-game. Considering the success of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, now seems as good of a time as any for Call of Duty to bring a bit of the wasteland to its ever-growing battlefield. It’s not the first major online game to take a stab at the Fallout universe, either. On May 24, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 launched with several Fallout-themed items in tow, including a T-60 Power Armor skin for its premium Battle Pass.

  • Warzone FAL loadout makes it the best SMG in the game – Dexerto

Warzone FAL loadout makes it the best SMG in the game Infinity WardThe FAL has been growing in popularity in Warzone throughout Season 4, after it was made ground loot. But, while many players are setting it up as a long-range AR, some expert players have discovered how to make it a dominant close-range weapon. The FAL is characterized by semi-auto fire, with controllable recoil and high time-to-kill — as long as you don’t miss. But, miss a couple of your shots and a fully-automatic weapon will punish you, making it a weapon reserved typically for the better aimers. However, thanks to Modern Warfare’s extensive weapon customization, it’s possible to transform the FAL from a long-range, semi-auto weapon, into potentially the most deadly close-range gun. As detailed by Call of Duty YouTuber, Swagg, in his July 21 video, the FAL will need a few attachment tweaks to make it viable at close-range. But, once you have these attachments unlocked, you might be surprised at how capable it is. Dubbing it the SMG killer, Swagg explains that the time-to-kill on the FAL at close-range with these attachments is “actually disgusting.” Read More: Octane reveals pro M4A1 Modern Warfare class – Close-range FAL Warzone attachments Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor. – Barrell: 13.0″ OSW Para. – Stock: No Stock. – Underbarrell: Commando Foregrip. – Perk: Burst. – Swagg does clarify that the Burst perk is really just a matter of preference, and that he actually opts for Sleight of Hand instead, to keep his reloads snappy when fighting up close. This wouldn’t be recommended as a Primary Weapon, particularly because you’ll lack the magazine capacity to take on lots of enemies without reloading, but rather as a backup for pushing into buildings, where you expect a battle. You can see Swagg putting the weapon to expert use in his video, pushing into contested areas like Superstore and coming out on top. One slight downside to using the FAL as an SMG, rather than just using an SMG, is that you’ll be splitting Assault Rifle ammo between both your Primary and Secondary Weapon. That means you might find yourself running low on ammo for both your weapons more quickly. If you’re looking to get the perfect loadouts for other weapons, check out all our Warzone loadout guides here.

  • Warzone exploit lets plays glitch inside elevators for free kills – Dexerto

Warzone exploit lets plays glitch inside elevators for free kills ActivisionDespite Caldera being Warzone’s featured battle royale experience, many players still prefer Rebirth Island. The map has had a variety of game-breaking glitches in the past, and it now appears like it has a fresh wall glitch giving players easy XP. It’s always going to be insanely difficult for Raven Software to keep on top of every problem in Call of Duty: Warzone. There are always going to be niggles and disruptions here and there, and Rebirth Island appears to be the latest casualty. The condensed battle royale map has been exposed to wall glitches in the past, and now a new elevator exploit has struck. It allows enemy players to get inside the confines of the map, camp, and pick off innocent players trying to ascend up an elevator shaft in Rebirth. Winning in Caldera and Rebirth Island is hard enough without extraneous variables complicating matters. But that appears to be a case in Rebirth Island at present — as Reddit user zennlabs found out the hard way. Until Raven addresses it, Rebirth players need to be aware of one particular elevator shaft as ascending it could lead to instant death. In zennlabs’ video, they showed their experience with the dreaded glitch. After triggering the animation to ascend the shaft, they were mysteriously pelted with bullets about halfway through their journey. A constant stream of incendiary ammo led to our player’s death before they’d even had a chance to disembark the cable. One of the top commenters quite simply called the glitching player out saying: “What kind of a loser glitches to camp in the elevator shaft…ON PLUNDER???” Whilst these problems can turn up in Warzone, they don’t tend to stick around too long. So it’s highly likely that Raven will patch this wall glitch soon enough.

  • Warzone expert’s Season 1 MCW build competes with SMGs – Dexerto

Warzone expert’s Season 1 MCW build competes with SMGs ActivisionThe MCW is an all-around beast in Warzone, but it suffers in close-range encounters. Metaphor solves that issue with this simple loadout, capable of turning the rifle into an SMG powerhouse. Modern Warfare 3‘s integration into Warzone came with the arrival of Season 1, introducing over 30 new weapons to the battle royale. As is somewhat to be expected, the guns that performed well in multiplayer, DG-56 and Rival-9, are doing the rounds in every player’s favorite build. However, despite the MCW being one of MW3’s top weapons, it’s fallen out of rotation rather quickly. Luckily, if you’re one of the MCW hopeful’s Warzone experts, Metaphor has just the loadout for you to turn the assault rifle into something with more kick — an SMG. Here’s what you need to know. Metaphor’s Warzone Season 1 MCW build In a new video, Metaphor demonstrated his new monster Warzone build for the MCW, which turns it into an SMG. This came as a suggestion from fellow content creator JGOD. Here’s the setup for Metaphor’s Warzone MCW below, with the key component being the JAK Raven Kit, giving this build one of the fastest TTKs in-game and serving as excellent sniper support: Barrel: Kimura Silentshot Integral – Stock: RB Regal Heavy Stock – Magazine: 40 Round Mag – Ammunition: Blackout High Grain Rounds – Conversion Kit: JAK Raven Kit – From the top, the Kimura Silentshot Integral barrel boosts the sprint-to-fire and ADS speeds great for close-quarter encounters, and it also comes with a built-in suppressor. The Regal Heavy Stock helps with recoil control and gun kick control, meaning you’ll still be capable in midrange fights. The 40-round mag is the play here, as the conversion kit will chew through the default 30 30-round mag. The Blackout High Grain Rounds will improve your damage range and bullet velocity while removing enemy skulls from the map upon kills. Finally, the JAK Raven Kit is the key here, as it turns the steady assault rifle into a monstrous SMG with an improved fire rate, close-range damage, and handling. How to unlock the JAK Raven Kit for the MCW To unlock and use the JAK Raven Kit, you have to meet two requirements. First, you must complete five challenges from Week 1 of the Weekly Challenges in MW3. Thankfully, the challenges can be completed across the three modes of MWZ, multiplayer, and Warzone. Once you have it unlocked, you must have the MCW leveled up to level 28 to equip it. That’s everything you need to know on Metaphor’s MCW loadout for Season 1 of Warzone. • Warzone experts highlight two MW3 guns that will “dominate” Urzikstan – Dexerto

Warzone experts highlight two MW3 guns that will “dominate” Urzikstan ActivisionA number of Warzone experts have highlighted guns from Modern Warfare 3 they believe can “dominate” the battle royale once the new update with the Urzikstan map launches. Over the past few years, Warzone has incorporated guns from several Call of Duty games all at once. Even though over 100 guns have been available to players at times, the meta has seen focused on just a handful of options. In December, Warzone will merge with Modern Warfare 3, bringing a new map in the form of Urzikstan, and 33 new weapons to the battle royale. That means that there’ll be 114 weapons to choose from when you first drop into the new map. Naturally, the newer MW3 weapons will rise to the top of the meta pretty quickly as players try and decide what is worth using. Though, a few Warzone experts have already pushed their chips to the middle of the table and made some early predictions. Best guns to level in Modern Warfare 3 for Warzone update That’s right, if you’re considering leveling up some guns now in preparation for the new Warzone update, the Bas-B is likely to be your best option. Both SallyIsADog and Warzone Loadout have highlighted the Battle Rifle as being one of the go-to’s come early December. “The Bas-B is absolutely insane and will dominate Warzone in my opinion,” said Warzone Loadout. The pair of them also gave a nod to the MTZ-556, with Sally comparing it to the fan-favorite duo of the ISO Hemlock and M13B. Though, he added it may likely be better as a sniper support. “It’s going to be a good sniper support gun in the same way the M13B was a good sniper support gun,” he said. Warzone Loadout has also tipped their cap to Holger 556, Rival-9, Holger 26, MCW, and Striker – which have all started to play a part in MW3 multiplayer too. Once the integration between MW3 and Warzone comes around, we’ll likely see some early balancing changes that could change things. However, don’t expect that to be too significant off the bat.

  • Warzone expert WhosImmortal shows off Type 100 loadout with fastest TTK – Dexerto

Warzone expert WhosImmortal shows off Type 100 loadout with fastest TTK ActivisionWarzone expert and YouTuber WhosImmortal has unveiled a Type 100 loadout for Season 3, perfect to challenge and even take down the meta Owen Gun on Caldera and Rebirth Island. Warzone Season 3 dropped at the back end of April and, barring a couple of weapons like the MP40 and STG-44, has been dominated by the Owen Gun. The Vanguard SMG, while not packing the hardest of punches or being the most stable of shooters, has the all-around damage, range, and handling to make it comfortably dominant at close and medium ranges. However, players naturally want alternatives to meta weapons, seeking to take down players who rely on the most-used weapons. While guns like the Welgun can be built to augment TTK, a viable competitor in Season 3 has been the Type 100. A classic of the CoD series, YouTuber and Warzone expert WhosImmortal offered his take on the weapon in a May 21 video, outlining how its TTK can be improved t0 outperform the strongest of Owen Gun builds. “Each of these Type 100 builds that we talk about,” he explained, “they are right there up close and over range, I mean, they still absolutely dominate versus the Owen Gun. At least with that top TTK build… Obviously, though there are some drawbacks. With the recoil, it’s a lot worse on the Type 100.” The full recommended build – to get the close range TTK below 500ms – is outlined below: Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Warubachi 134mm Rapid – Magazine: .30 Russian short 36-round – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Shiraishi T100 – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk: Gung-ho – Perk 2: Quick – While vertical kick is not too problematic, horizontal shake on the rapid TTK Type 100 will take players some getting used to. Lower-skill players might not find it suitable for them because of the considerable recoil. It is, though, the ideal sniper support weapon because of its close to medium range speciality and insane TTK. Pair it with a ZRG 20mm sniper and you’ll be perfectly equipped for any engagement.

  • Warzone expert Whosimmortal shows off “secret meta” AR that no one is using – Dexerto

Warzone expert Whosimmortal shows off “secret meta” AR that no one is using Activision / WhosimmortalThere’s no shortage of Assault Rifles to choose from in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, but there are a handful of meta weapons that most players will gravitate towards. Warzone expert Whosimmortal has revealed the underrated weapon that is actually one of Caldera’s best. The Warzone meta is constantly shifting and changing, but there are a handful of Assault Rifles that have dominated Caldera ever since Raven made the switch to the Pacific map. The Cooper Carbine remains one of the standouts, while the Automaton is still an incredibly popular choice. Sometimes very effective weapons slip under the radar, and despite how well they perform in-game, the community steers clear of them for one reason or another. According to Warzone guru Whosimmortal, there is a hidden gem in Warzone right now. He claims the Vanguard BAR is a “secret meta” Assault Rifle and has broken down exactly how to make it a beast in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded. Based on stats from WZ Ranked, the Vanguard BAR currently has a pick rate of just 1.31% and is only the 25th most-used weapon in the game. This is way behind other guns in its class, placing it as the 12th most popular Assualt Rifle overall. Whosimmortal believes the reason behind the BAR’s lack of popularity is that the most common setups aren’t making the most of its capabilities. “It’s so easy to use, and if you build it out correctly, it actually can compete vs these top meta weapons,” he said in his April 14 video. He went on to show off the very best loadout to make the BAR a top choice in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded. Whosimmortal best BAR loadout in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: CGC 30” XL – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: CGC Wire – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: .50 BMG 40 Round Mag – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Perk: Hardscope – Perk 2: On-Hand – The BAR is a heavy-hitting AR best suited for close to mid-range fights, so Whosimmortal’s loadout aimed to counter some of its shortcomings. He started his setup with the Recoil Booster to increase the fire rate and greatly improve the TTK. This Muzzle comes at the expense so some accuracy, so he used plenty of attachments to keep the BAR on the straight and narrow. The CGC 30” XL Barrel and M1941 Hand Stop both greatly improved recoil control and flinch resistance, while the Stippled Grip boosted recoil recovery. You could argue the BAR is one of the more sluggish ARs, so he went with a CGC Wire Stock to boost overall movement speed and sprint-to-fire speed. He then punted for the G16 2.5x Optic, but urged players to use the sight they feel most comfortable with. In terms of ammo, Whosimmortal went for .50 BMG 40 Round Mag loaded with Lengthend rounds, to improve the BAR’s already devastating bullet velocity. Finally, he chose the Hardscope Perk for one last accuracy increase when aiming, followed by On Hand thanks to its secret ability to improve ADS speed. During his video, the Warzone guru explained that many players appear to be using the wrong attachments on the BAR, which explains its low pick rate and its low 0.63 average K/D. He pointed at the Muzzle, in particular, saying that the popular Mercury Silencer is holding the gun back. Now that you know how to set up the Vanguard BAR in the best way, be sure to run it in your next game before Warzone Season 3 comes along and shifts the meta once again.

  • Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals forgotten Cold War AR that dominates Titanium Trials – Dexerto

Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals forgotten Cold War AR that dominates Titanium Trials ActivisionWarzone introduced Titanium Trials as a new LTM, and CoD YouTuber WhosImmortal revealed the best loadouts for the intense mode, including an AK-47 class. Titanium Trials takes inspiration from the usual Iron Trials LTM. Up to 152 players with an increased maximum of 300 HP battle it out. Health takes longer to restore, and loadouts are more expensive, making it a mode not for the faint of heart. Warzone players have an extra incentive to queue up for Titanium Trials matches. Raven Software announced eight challenges that unlock Terminator-themed rewards. If you win 20 Titanium Trials matches, you unlock an Ultra “Skynet” Vanguard Weapon. Warzone content creators are racing to reach the 20-win mark. Warzone expert WhosImmortal shared a few essential tips for competing in Iron Trials. WhosImmortal reveals best Iron Trials loadouts The YouTuber emphasized building load-outs that excell in magazine size and damage. “with 400 health, you really want to be mindful of damage per mag and what’s going to be able to compete in a squad-sized mode.” WhosImmortal recommends using Serpentine Overkill and Combat Scout as your three perks. Tempered is a perfect perk for Iron Trials, but fortunately, it can easily be found as ground loot in the LTM. Whosimmortal shared his top five classes, surprisingly featuring the Black Ops: Cold War AK-47. “The damage of the AK-47 is still so good, and the Owen Gun has great damage as well, and a great magazine size, so you get the best of both worlds with this loadout. Here is the full AK-47 loadout. Muzzle: GRJ Suppresor – Barrell: 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrell – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Magazine: Bakelite 60 rnd – The AK-47 requires a skilled user due to its high recoil, but in the right hands, the high-powered assault rifle is a perfect choice for Iron Trials.

  • Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals fastest TTK loadouts for Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals fastest TTK loadouts for Season 3 Activision / WhosimmortalWarzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the Season 3 weapons with the fastest TTK and while there are a few gimmes on the list, a couple of sleeper picks found their way into the lineup as well. WhosImmortal is one of Warzone’s most reliable statisticians and loadout builders across the board. He’s given the community tons of expertly crafted builds and this round of ‘fastest TTK’ weapons is just the latest example of his good work. From the STG-44 to the Owen Gun, here’s how he rates the most efficient options in the game. WhosImmortal reveals fastest TTK weapons in Warzone STG-44 Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: VDD 34S Weighted – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk: Nerves of Steel – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – The STG is one of the game’s finest long-range options right now and these attachments only emphasize that. According to the Warzone guru, this build features a sub-900 millisecond time to kill at around 85 meters. This makes it an elite choice for Caldera, where not only is the overall health higher, but the longer sightlines mean getting more bang for your buck. Bruen Mk9 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: XRK Summit 26.8″ – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 60 Round Mags – It’s currently flying a little bit under the radar but the Bruen is still one of the fastest killing weapons in all of Warzone, particularly when it comes to ranged gunfights. Another weapon with a sub-900 ms TTK, it’s all about preference when choosing this LMG build over the STG. Both guns are incredibly versatile, and as Immortal notes, they’ll both suit anyone who needs a long-distance primary weapon. CR-56 AMAX Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440 – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 45 Round Mags – The final Assault Rifle option is the AMAX and this gun excels in every area. Using the build from above will give near-perfect control to anyone taking on a lot of medium or long-range engagements, but it can alternately be trimmed down and made into an oversized SMG with the right attachments. While it’s still early, the Modern Warfare classic is looking like the crown jewel of Season 3 so far. STEN Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: SA 65mm Rapid – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Gawain Para – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 36 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – Only picked up by the most adventurous of players for much of its lifespan so far, the STEN has gone through a remarkable glow-up in Season 3. Its natural mobility combined with the enhanced fire rate of the SA 65mm Rapid barrel and 7.62 Gorenko 36 Round Mags brings the gun’s TTK up to a blistering 700 milliseconds. As explained in the video, the STEN’s only drawback is its lack of ammo. The 36-round mag is enough for Solos and Duos, but venturing any further than that makes it a little bit of a risky pick. Type 100 Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Warubachi 134mm Rapid – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Shiraishi T100 – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 48 Round Drums – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk: Gung Ho – Perk 2: Quick – For anyone who likes the speed of the STEN but needs a little more of a safety net in the ammo department, the Type 100 is here to save the day. Another weapon that benefits from high natural mobility and fire rate, the Type 100 is easier to shoot than any other gun on the list, making it incredibly easy for players of all skill levels to pick up and put to use. Owen Gun Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Removed Stock – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drums – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – Of course, the Owen Gun hasn’t been completely dethroned. It’s still more than a viable pick with a sub-650ms TTK, and anyone who dominated Season 2 with it won’t have any troubles picking it back up. This build is a little different from the usual fare, but that’s because it’s all about killing quicker this time, so the Warzone wizard has sacrificed some utility in the form of a barrel in favor of keeping those numbers looking nice and high. That’s all of the fastest killing weapons in the game. Rebuilding your loadouts with these options should make it easier than ever to terrorize the halls of Caldera and Rebirth Island alike.

  • Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals 3 must-use perks in Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone expert WhosImmortal reveals 3 must-use perks in Season 3 ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed his picks for the perks that players should be using in Season 3, and it should prompt a slight shake-up to the usual meta. Pretty much everything in Call of Duty: Warzone has a meta at this point – be it weapons, drop spots, equipment, and even perks – with Raven Software constantly making changes to keep things fresh. Perks have been under the microscope constantly over the last two seasons, with a handful of options getting buffed in Season 2, and a brand-new perk – Serpentine – being added in Season 3. The new perk has got some decent usage since its arrival, but it’s not yet cracked the meta, nor is it something that players really need to be using. That’s according to WhosImmortal, who has laid out his picks for the best perks in the new season as things have settled down a little. The Warzone stats guru highlighted the shift in the perk meta during his May 28 video, suggesting that there are a few changes that players need to make to their setup. In terms of Perk 1, the YouTuber believes Cold-Blooded is still the go-to, just because of how it counters Combat Scout. As for Perk 2, it’s Restock that gets the nod from WhosImmortal because of how strong the perk has become with its recent buff – especially when combined with Snapshot Grenades. When it comes to Perk 3, he believes that Amped is still the way to go rather than Battle Hardened, which has been the shift for some players. “Battle Hardened ‘counters’ Snapshot Grenades but it still shows you that a player is there, so it’s really a terrible counter,” he said. While that’s his preferred setup, the YouTuber did concede that some players won’t want to shift from what they’re comfortable with. Plus he noted that many will be eager to get Serpentine into the mix. However, he claims that the newest perk isn’t as “broken” as some feared as it really only comes into effect when you have no armor and are running off base health. Of course, some players will still use what they want to use regardless, but it might be a good idea for many to rock what he’s highlighting.

  • Warzone expert Whosimmortal breaks down “easiest” loadouts to use with no recoil – Dexerto

Warzone expert Whosimmortal breaks down “easiest” loadouts to use with no recoil Activision / WhosimmortalKeeping recoil under control is essential to success in Warzone, but it’s far from an easy task. CoD expert Whosimmortal has shown off the easiest loadouts to use with the lowest recoil in the game. As simple as it sounds, the key to success in Warzone is choosing the weapon that allows you to hit the most shots consistently. Some guns are far harder to use in this sense, thanks to their high recoil. If you’re looking for the easiest weapons to use, don’t worry, Warzone expert Whosimmortal has revealed the five layouts with the lowest recoil in Season 3. In his May 17 video, Whosimmortal broke down the five weapons that are the easiest to use in Warzone Season 3, as well as the best loadout for each one in terms of lowest recoil. The CoD expert began by emphasizing just how important it is to have good recoil control in Warzone, explaining that it’s more important than other factors like time-to-kill. “You might have the fastest TTK weapon in the world, but if you’re shooting circles around the enemy it’s not going to matter,” he said, adding that if your enemy can consistently land their shots, you’re going to get “fried.” He then broke down the five loadouts which are easiest to use in Warzone, with each being geared specifically towards achieving the lowest recoil stat. Whosimmortal reveals the easiest loadouts to use in Warzone Cooper Carbine Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: 22” Cooper Custom – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: Cooper 45RS – Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 9mm 60 Round Drums – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk 1: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – Whosimmortal called the Cooper Carbine one of the “lowest recoil guns in Warzone history,” and claimed it is one of the easiest guns to get to grips with in the entire game. Its recoil pattern is mainly vertical, with only a slight horizontal movement on both console and PC. This makes it incredibly simple to predict where the recoil will take you and adjust accordingly. The biggest drawback is the Cooper Carbine’s relatively low damage, meaning it comes to life more as sniper support for close to mid-range engagements. M13 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus Marksman – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60-Round Mags – The M13 has been a popular choice in Warzone for some time, and this is largely down to how easy it is to control at all ranges. Its recoil pattern is the same each and every time you fire it, going up vertically and to the right. “It’s going to be very reliable, you can’t go wrong with it,” Whosimmortal explained. “It doesn’t have the craziest TTK, but because it’s so easy to use you’ll probably land more shots with this vs an EM2. “The result is a more realistic and practical TTK that is actually better.” FARA 83 Muzzle: Gru Suppressor – Barrel: 18.7″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Ammunition: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd – While its’ recoil is slightly more unwieldy than the previous two weapons, Whosimmortal still believed the FARA 83 is one of Warzone’s most straightforward weapons. He explained that the Cold War AR has the ‘S’ pattern that many other weapons in its class have, but here it’s far less prominent. “It goes a little bit right, a little bit left, then back to straight vertical,” the YouTuber described. “Because of that, you pretty much have to pull straight back throughout and it’s going to feel very consistent.” He added that the FARA 83 “hits hard” thanks to its impressive TTK, calling it a “win-win.” KG M40 Muzzle: Recoil – Barrel: Resdorf 720mm Shrouded – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: VDD 22G Padded – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Proficiency: Tight Grip – Kit: Fully Loaded – One of the more interesting weapons to feature in the list, the KG M40 hasn’t really made much of an impact on the Warzone meta since it’s release. However, Whosimmortal didn’t think players should overlook it. Its recoil is more noticeable than other weapons, but the YouTuber noted that it’s so “predictable” that it’s worth persevering with. It only veers up and to the right, so one movement back to the left and you’re back on track. “Over all ranges, this is one of the lowest recoil weapons in the game.” MP7 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: FSS Recon – Laser: Tac Laser – Ammunition: 50 Round Mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Finally, he highlighted the MP7, again thanks to its very predictable recoil pattern that only leans slightly up and to the right. The YouTuber also mentioned that since the SMG is primarily for close-range, it’s even easier to keep the aim steady. It doesn’t necessarily have the best damage in medium to long-range fights, but Whosimmortal felt that the MP7 is a must-use alongside a better-ranged weapon. “This is one of the top sniper support weapons in the game,” he claimed. “This thing absolutely fries.” If you’re struggling in Warzone Season 3, be sure to try out one of these setups. Going back-to-basics with a low recoil beast might be just what you need to snag your next victory.

  • Warzone expert unveils H4 Blixen loadout that might be BR’s best ever SMG – Dexerto

Warzone expert unveils H4 Blixen loadout that might be BR’s best ever SMG ActivisionWarzone YouTuber IceManIsaac has outlined a weapon loadout he believes is one of the best in the battle royale’s history, claiming the H4 Blixen dominates in a way no other weapon has. As has become standard in Warzone, new weapons added to annual installments immediately make their way into the Call of Duty battle royale. That was the case yet again with the H4 Blixen, which dropped with Season 3 Reloaded on May 25. Unlockable through Modern Warfare (as well as Vanguard), the hard-hitting SMG thrives at close to medium ranges, also boasting incredibly strong mobility and handling. However, early expectations have been comfortably surpassed and, in a June 3 YouTube video, Warzone specialist IceManIsaac outlined his loadout, claiming the gun is among the best there’s ever been in the battle royale. “This gun, the Blixen, is my favorite gun to ever come into Warzone,” he said. “I have been waiting for something to live up to the Cold War MP5 back in its prime, or the MAC-10 back in its prime. This gun is unbelievable. Insanely fast TTK, especially compared to everything else in the meta, it’s got very easy to control recoil and you are zooming across the map.” Using TTK stats, Isaac outlines how the Blixen outperforms every other close-range meta weapon up to 30 meters – where it should be used most by players. It won’t be as strong at longer ranges but, in the Season 3 Reloaded version of Warzone, it’s truly dominant everywhere else. Isaac did not drop a full class for the Blixen but, in order to get the best out of it, three attachments are a must. They are the Recoil Booster, Jönsson 9″ RMK and 7.62 Gorenko 36 Round Mags. The rest are up to you, but if you’re struggling, check out Dexerto’s recommended H4 Blixen loadout here. As previously mentioned, you will need to supplement the Blixen with a strong long-range option. If you’re confident go for a sniper like the ZRG 20mm, but if you want a little more insurance in longer-range gunfights, check out a low-recoil AR like the Kilo 141. Provided you have the H4 Blixen as your primary though, you can’t do a lot wrong.

  • Warzone expert unveils forgotten Cold War LMG to outperform meta KG M40 at all ranges – Dexerto

Warzone expert unveils forgotten Cold War LMG to outperform meta KG M40 at all ranges ActivisionWarzone expert IceManIsaac has outlined his go-to MG82 loadout for the latter stages of Season 4, claiming the Black Ops Cold War LMG comfortably outperforms the meta KG M40. Warzone Pacific Season 5 is on the horizon, sure to shake-up the battle royale’s meta once again when it drops on August 24. Across Season 4, the top spot in the meta has been occupied almost constantly by the KG M40, the Vanguard LMG that exploded in popularity in recent months. However, Warzone content creator IceManIsaac has crunched the numbers and determined that it’s actually outperformed by an underused and forgotten LMG: the MG 82. IceManIsaac reveals MG 82 Warzone loadout to dominate Titanium Trials Explaining that the Titanium Trials LTM pushed him to find a new LMG with a large magazine and strong damage, Isaac ran the stats and realized the MG 82, despite an eye-watering low pick-rate of just 0.05%, is incredibly strong. Attachments allow it to rock a 125-round magazine which, paired with strong damage and a decent ADS time for an LMG, means it actually competes well with the KG M40 and other meta weapons. In terms of time-to-kill (TTK), it actually outperforms the KG M40 at every range. Isaac explained: “Most of the Vanguard LMGs are really clunky. Then I started to think, what about the MG 82? I get 125 rounds, I know it was really good in Warzone in the past… it still hits. It kills in 660ms and beats it substantially at all ranges.” He also outlined his exact build: Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 16.4″ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: 125 Round Mag – The only drawback on the MG 82 is recoil, with it kicking slightly more than the KG M40 and therefore slightly more difficult to maintain accuracy. However, if players learn to control it and pair it up with a close-range weapon like the Armaguerra 43, you can’t go far wrong.

  • Warzone expert unveils “easy to use” Cooper Carbine loadout following Vanguard Royale changes – Dexerto

Warzone expert unveils “easy to use” Cooper Carbine loadout following Vanguard Royale changes Warzone creator TrueGameData has revealed his pick for the best “easy to use” loadout in Season 2 of Caldera, geared towards less experienced players who might not be as competent at controlling recoil. It’s probably fair to say that the entire meta shifted for Warzone’s popular Vanguard Royale game mode following its March 2 update, with the devs introducing significant changes to alter the game’s TTK. After complaints from the community about how fast players got eliminated, the developers increased base player health from 100 to 150 – making the max health with full armor plates 300hp. TrueGameData’s best easy to use loadout In a video uploaded on March 5, popular Warzone creator TrueGameData has provided players with the current best “easy” loadouts to use in Vanguard Royale. According to TGD, the most important thing when trying to find the best easy-to-use loadouts is to start with a minimum amount of recoil possible. Fortunately, there are a plethora of options available for players as noted by the creator. TGD showed off a few different loadouts for players to choose from, but added that the Cooper Carbine is by far the easiest to control in Vanguard Royale as it virtually has no recoil with the right attachments. The YouTuber’s exact attachments for the easy-to-master Cooper Carbine are listed below. Best Cooper Carbine loadout Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: 22″ Cooper Custom – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Cooper 45RS – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 9mm 60 Round Drums – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Perk: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – The build seeks to minimize recoil even further, whilst making the weapon balanced from both a damage and range perspective. The consistency of the Cooper Carbine, paired with attachments to further reduce its kick, ensure it’s a great candidate for less-confident Warzone players. If you’re more confident, check out our favorite Cooper Carbine class for Season 2.

  • Warzone expert unveils deadly hipfire PPSh-41 build after massive Season 5 buff – Dexerto

Warzone expert unveils deadly hipfire PPSh-41 build after massive Season 5 buff ActivisionWarzone expert and YouTuber Metaphor has outlined the recently buffed PPSh-41 as Season 5’s best SMG, revealing his specific hipfire build. Season 5: Last Stand dropped back on August 24, constituting the final seasonal update of the Vanguard life-cycle. It shook the weapon meta up significantly, nerfing some long-time favorites and buffing long-forgotten weapons like the Modern Warfare P90. Another weapon to be strengthened was the Vanguard PPSh-41. The classic CoD SMG has been solid if unspectacular in Warzone but, with multiple attachments buffed in the Season 5 update, it looks set to be a strong meta option ahead of Modern Warfare 2. Warzone expert highlights PPSh-41 as Season 5’s “best SMG” That was the verdict of Warzone content creator Metaphor, whose 27 August YouTube video pointed to hipfire buffs and claimed that it is now one of the strongest close-range weapons in Warzone. “This gun got buffed like crazy in the Season 5 update and it is now probably the best SMG in the game,” he said. “You can use this gun for any game mode and this build I have set up right now is great for hip firing and probably the best hipfire weapon in the entire game.” It’s no surprise to see the 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags feature, one of the attachments heavily buffed in Season 5. The full loadout, recommended as sniper support, is detailed below: Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Kovalevskaya 230mm B03 – Optic: 1229/Slate 3.25x Custom – Stock: Removed Stock – Perk: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Quick – Rear Grip: Fabric Grip – Magazine: 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags – Ammunition: Hollow Point – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Unsurprisingly given its hipfire credentials, there’s a real emphasis on speed and mobility, with recoil and damage somewhat sidelined. Given the focus it’s important for players to center opponents well and fire early, therefore giving themselves a gunfight against a weakened enemy. Metaphor paired it up with the Kar98k but its close-range power means a steady long-range AR like the Kilo 141 or M13 will be equally suitable, and perhaps better for less confident players.

  • Warzone expert unveils 5 easiest to use loadouts ahead of Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto

Warzone expert unveils 5 easiest to use loadouts ahead of Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has unveiled his picks for the five easiest-to-use loadouts ahead of Season 4 Reloaded’s release. The release of Warzone Season 4 shook up the meta again with massive changes to sniper rifles and Vanguard’s assault rifles. But just as the community feels like they’ve got the gist of the current meta, there’s not long left to go until the release of Season 4 Reloaded. However, weapons outside the meta still hold up well when used correctly. Now, Warzone content creator WhosImmortal has revealed his top picks for the easiest loadouts. WhosImmortal’s top 5 easiest Warzone loadouts When playing Warzone, every bullet matters. Hence, in a July 23 YouTube video, WhosImmortal showcased some of the best loadouts with the lowest recoil that are so easy to use, that anybody can use them efficiently. As the YouTube creator explained, some weapons have ridiculously low recoil that can be taken advantage of. Best Grau 5.56 loadout Despite being released in Modern Warfare Season 2, the Grau 5.56 still holds up to this day with one of the best recoil patterns and bullet spread in the game. When using the weapon with the attachments listed below, you will be shooting as straight as possible. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 50 Round Mags – Best KG M40 loadout With Vanguard ARs getting a buff in Season 4, the KG M40 is among the best weapons to use for low recoil. While the spray pattern moves horizontally, it’s one of the most consistent weapons in the game. WhosImmortal recommends using the following attachments for the Vanguard rifle. Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Reisdorf 720mm Shrouded – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: VDD 22G Padded – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk 1: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – Best Welgun loadout Another Vanguard weapon making its way onto this list is the Welgun SMG. Making its way into Warzone back in Season 1, the Welgun has a tight spread after the first few bullets – making it the perfect weapon for close gun fights. Typically, the Welgun is paired with a sniper rifle but acts as a reliable close-range alternative to your primary weapon. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: 320mm SA Shrouded – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Removed – Underbarrel: M1915 Steady – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags – Ammunition: Subsonic – Rear Grip: Taped Grip – Perk 1: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – Best Automaton loadout While on the outside the Automaton seems like a poor choice if you’re trying to minimize recoil, in fact, the weapon’s recoil is essentially as straight as it can get vertically when paired with the right attachments. Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: ZAC 600mm BFA – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: Anastasia Padded – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk 1: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – Best Kilo 141 loadout Last but not least on WhosImmortal’s list is the MW Kilo 141. Considered to be one of the best ARs of all time in Warzone, it’s no surprise that it’s on the list. Back in Verdansk, it was the go-to weapon, and it still holds up well in Caldera. As explained by the Warzone expert, the weapon’s TTK isn’t the greatest at long distances. However, rest assured you’ll be landing the majority of your shots. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8″ Prowler – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 50 Round Mags – If you’re looking for some easy loadouts to use, it’s certainly worthwhile listening to WhosImmortal’s expert advice.

  • Warzone expert unearths game-changing movement trick with hidden Season 5 changes – Dexerto

Warzone expert unearths game-changing movement trick with hidden Season 5 changes ActivisionWarzone expert IceManIsaac has unearthed a movement trick in Season 5 that has the power to change everything by all but disabling fall damage. While seasonal patch notes are often quite extensive, with Season 5 being no different, devs can occasionally leave out a few important details. That’s where Warzone’s biggest gurus come into play as they spend hours rigorously testing for any secrets hidden away. With Season 5 now in focus, IceManIsaac got to investigating. What he discovered is arguably “one of the most insane movement mechanics in the history of Warzone.” By “testing every variable” over multiple hours, he released his findings on July 30, revealing secret changes to fall damage that weren’t explained in the latest patch notes. “I don’t know if this is broken,” Isaac said before diving into the nitty-gritty details. In short, fall damage was secretly changed with the Season 5 patch. Where before, a fall from a height of 13 meters would kill you, you’re now able to go all the way up to 16 meters. Although that may not sound all too game-changing, “it gets even crazier” when the Mountaineer perk is equipped. “Fall damage definitely got nerfed, but Mountaineer got buffed on top of it,” Isaac clarified. Now, players can survive falls from up to 34 meters with Mountaineer in their loadout. That’s an eight-meter increase from its previous 26-meter limit. Obviously, this has some dramatic effects in moment-to-moment gameplay. “On the map now, you can just jump off of some places you don’t even need to think about. It’s like playing [Apex Legends],” Isaac joked while showcasing some wild examples of new jumps now possible. Though the height changes are only scratching the surface. The real revelation came when Isaac realized fall damage isn’t calculated on height alone, but rather your velocity too. By changing the angle of your descent, you’re now able to survive absolutely outrageous falls without opening your parachute. “You can go up to 100 meters and not have to worry about pulling your chute,” Isaac confirmed. All you have to do is tilt back while in freefall, if your hands are up, you’re safe and set to survive from even dizzying heights. Whether this is intentional or a bug that slipped through in the Season 5 patch, is anyone’s guess for now. Activision has yet to address the movement technique, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if that changes.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData unveils best Rebirth Island loadouts for Season 2 – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData unveils best Rebirth Island loadouts for Season 2 ActivisionThe Warzone gun expert and YouTuber TrueGameData has revealed his picks for the best Rebirth Island loadouts in Pacific Season 2, ensuring you’ll have the firepower you need away from Caldera. With Warzone’s Pacific Season 2 shaking up the meta for better or worse, players are stuck between a slew of viable options for their loadouts. Fortunately, Warzone gun analyst TrueGameData has the community covered, and has revealed his pick for the best loadout to use right now when dropping into Caldera. However, for Rebirth Island players, the popular creator has unveiled the best loadouts you can use in Season 2 when playing on the smaller map. Best Rebirth Island loadouts for Season 2 In a YouTube video on March 12, the popular Warzone creator TrueGameData revealed three of the best loadouts that you absolutely need to use when playing Rebirth Island. As explained in the video, the recently released Vargo 52 is definitely one of the best weapons in the game currently due to its easy use, low recoil, and fast TTK. However, with an insane damage range and manageable recoil control, players shouldn’t forget about the Oden – another BOCW rifle that still packs a powerful punch in 2022. If you’re more of a sniper player, then TrueGameData suggests Modern Warfare’s KAR98k, which is overall better than Vanguard snipers and the Swiss K31. Best Vargo 52 Loadout Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Barrel: 18.7″ Spetsnax RPK Barrel – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Magazine: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Best Oden loadout Muzzle: Colossus Suppressor – Barrel: Oden Factory 810mm – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 30 Round Mags – Optic: VLK 3.0X Optic – Best KAR98K Loadout Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Stock: FTAC Sport Comb – Laser: Tac Laser – Magazine: Singuard Custom 27.6″ – Optic: Sniper Scope – With three great loadouts showcased by TrueGameData there’s certainly a ton of variety to choose from when making your next class. Perhaps use these to your advantage next time you’re dropping into Rebirth.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals SMG loadout with faster TTK than MP-40 – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals SMG loadout with faster TTK than MP-40 Activision / TrueGameDataThe close-range meta plays a huge role in Warzone and analyst TrueGameData has now discovered a Welgun SMG loadout that has a quicker TTK than the MP-40. Since the move to the Pacific, Warzone has been dominated by the MP-40 despite it receiving some nerfs. With its ADS speed, sprint to fire time, and its TTK of around 0.57 seconds up close, it has been one of the most picked weapons ever. Submachine guns like the Sten, Owen Gun, Type 100, and other short-range options have been tossed around but none have hit like the MP-40. However, TrueGameData, a Warzone specialist in TTK and loadout guides, has put together a build for the newly released Welgun and it shreds on Caldera. Warzone gun guru builds Welgun loadout with fastest TTK The Welgun came out during the mid-season update in Warzone Pacific and instantly became a top weapon. While it didn’t surpass the MP-40, new data from TGD shows it’s actually better and he’s revealed all the attachments needed. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: 300mm Wilkie Custom – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Gawain S-Custom – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Magazine: 9mm 64 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Incendiary – Rear Grip: Taped Grip – Perk 1: Gung-ho – Perk 2: Quick – When looking at the loadout he uses, it is centralized around Gung-ho because it gives you no sprint to fire time, which is extremely valuable. This is important due to the build not prioritizing ADS speed. Players do need to start firing before scoping, which is why Taped Grip and Gawain S-Custom are two essential attachments to make the hip fire accuracy even better. In his YouTube video, TGD brings up side-by-side comparisons with TTKs and shows how the Welgun is excelling. At 10 meters the Welgun has about a 500 millisecond faster TTK than the MP-40. As the range increases, it still kills at least a half a second quicker, which could make it the new meta weapon. He shows off the setup and how he still has near-perfect accuracy while sprinting. So next time you drop into Caldera and want to give a different weapon a try, the Welgun looks like a very strong candidate.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals slept-on Cold War LMG that rules Season 5 – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals slept-on Cold War LMG that rules Season 5 ActivisionWarzone number-cruncher and YouTuber TrueGameData has revealed a slept-on Cold War LMG that dominates Season 5 despite a mediocre pick rate and lackluster handling statistics. Warzone players are always searching for powerful weapons that fly under the proverbial radar, with the majority of players guided by weapons that are ‘meta’ and used by large portions of the player base. However, on occasion, a juggernaut of a weapon can go largely unnoticed, which certainly appears to be the case with the RPD in Season 5. The Cold War LMG was left untouched in Season 5’s weapon balancing but, as can be the case when the weapon pool is tinkered with, it appears more viable than it has been for some time. TrueGameData sheds light on powerful RPD in Warzone Season 5 That is certainly the opinion of Warzone expert TrueGameData, whose opinions on the battle royale are more than worth listening to. In his 9 September video, TGD outlined the best long-range meta guns to use in Warzone’s closing weeks. Alongside well-known guns like the Kilo 141, Cooper Carbine, and UGM-8 was the RPD. Despite having a pick-rate of just 0.09%, TGD reckons it’s very strong in Caldera right now. According to the YouTuber, the Cold War LMG gets a 9 out of 10 in Season 5. He said: “It’s kinda edging on an 8 just because of the LMG mobility, but it’s super super accurate, has good time-to-kill, really good damage range to 60 meters, which leads to a really good weighted average time-to-kill.” Timestamp: 11:30 The only real negative of the RPD was that it cannot be equipped with a 3-6x Optic, the ideal sight for a weapon that excels at medium to longer ranges. It can, though, be meta with the right attachments. TGD delved into his specific build later in the video, seeking to negate its slowness and build on its damage: Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Barrel: 20.3” Task Force – Optic: SUSAT Multizoom – Magazine: 120 Round – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – Players will almost certainly need a close-range weapon in the back pocket and, for that, there’s no better choice right now than the PPSh-41 or Armaguerra 43. With Warzone Season 5 confirmed as being the last ahead of Modern Warfare 2, players can expect the RPD to stay this powerful for some time.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals NZ-41 loadout with faster TTK than STG – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData reveals NZ-41 loadout with faster TTK than STG ActivisionThe Warzone meta is constantly shifting and changing, but the STG44 has managed to remain a dominant force for quite some time. However, after the June 2 update, CoD expert TrueGameData has revealed the forgotten NZ-41 Assault Rifle actually has a faster TTK. Ever since CoD Vanguard dropped last November, the STG44 has been one of the most effective weapons in Warzone. The versatile Assault Rifle is consistently one of the most popular guns in the game, thanks to its capabilities at all ranges. Brutal nerfs to other contenders, like the CR-56 AMAX, in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded have only made it more dominant, causing fans to beg the developers for a nerf. But according to Warzone expert TrueGameData, the June 2 update has buffed the NZ-41 into the meta, with a TTK that is superior to that of the STG44. Prior to the update, TrueGameData was critical of the recoil on the NZ-41, saying it had a “mind of its own” and was too inconsistent. This was acknowledged by Senior Game Designer Tully Ackland, who replied saying the weapon was not working as intended, and that he would pass it on to the dev team. Then, in the June 2 patch, the recoil was heavily lowered and the YouTuber felt it propelled the AR straight into the Warzone meta. When comparing the NZ-41 to the STG44, the results were fairly surprising. Although the current top dog is slightly more effective at close-range, when it comes to long-range fights, the NZ-41 actually came out on top. From 27 meters onwards, the NZ finishes off opponents around 0.05 seconds faster. This may seem like a small difference, but when you throw in the newfound accuracy, TrueGameData felt it was incredibly “close” between the NZ-41, and the STG44 or BAR. TrueGameData’s Warzone NZ-41 loadout Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Orbweaver 360mm BC – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Stock: LOR MK3 SC – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scop 3-6x – Magazine: 5mm Sakura 50 Round Mags – Ammunition: Lengthened – Perk: Brace – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – With this setup, TrueGameData believed that the underused Assault Rifle can challenge the best weapons in the game. “It’s really good, honestly, it’s probably a 9/10 on my weapon scoring sheet now, maybe a 9.5/10,” he explained in his video. “It’s actually very close to the STG and the BAR, I’d say, for one of the top ARs,” he continued. “We now have one more viable long-range gun.” So, if you’re one of the players who’s tired of relying on the STG44 to be competitive in Warzone, consider running the NZ-41 in your next match on Caldera. Paired with a top close-range SMG, it could be the secret to success in Season 3 Reloaded.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData explains why Type 100 beats MP40 & Owen Gun – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData explains why Type 100 beats MP40 & Owen Gun Activision / TrueGameDataVanguard SMGs are dominating the Warzone meta right now, and the MP40 and Owen Gun are many players’ go-to close-range weapons. However, Warzone guru TrueGameData has explained why the Type 100 is actually the top SMG in Season 3 Reloaded. Warzone Season 3 Reloaded introduced a number of major buffs and nerfs into the battle royale, drastically shaking up the meta in many different areas. Vanguard weapons, in particular, were made even more dominant. The SMG meta is one of the most fiercely contested in all of Warzone, as the likes of the PPSH-41 or the new H4 Blixen try to dethrone the MP40 and Owen Gun as the most popular close-range guns. According to TrueGameData, however, the Type 100 is actually the number one SMG in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded. TrueGameData compared the stats of all of the top SMGs currently in Warzone, in an effort to discover which is the standout. While many were fairly evenly matched, the Type 100 was the clear winner, with the Owen Gun and MP40 nowhere to be seen. The Type 100 had a time-to-kill (TTK) of under 0.55 seconds, around 0.05 faster than the likes of the PPSH-41 and Armaguerra 43. But it was how it maintained its TTK at a distance that really made it devastating. Whereas the other weapons’ tended to drop off between 10 and 15 meters from the target, the Type 100 kept a TTK of under 0.6 seconds until the 22-meter mark. The Warzone expert used the weapon to break his personal kill recorded recently, calling it “insane.” “It’s one of those guns [where] if you have it, and you get in a gunfight, and it’s a one-v-one, and you’re both shooting at the same time – you know you’re going to win with the Type 100,” he explained. He then broke down the best loadout to achieve this impressive TTK, which we’ve listed below. TrueGameData Warzone Type 100 loadout Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Warubachi 134mm Rapid – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Warbachi Skeletal – Underbarrel: SG98 Compact – Magazine: .30 Russian Short 36 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Subsonic – Rear Grip: Rubber Grip – Perk: Sleight of Hand – Perk 2: Quick – TrueGameData did note that this build comes with some drawbacks. He explained that the smaller 36-round magazines may cause problems for some players, but the tradeoff was that you’ll have a “better TTK than everyone else.” This is also why he switched his first Perk to Sleight of Hand to boost reload speeds, advising players to incorporate plenty of reloads into a fight without letting the magazine empty completely to maximize speed. So, if you’re looking for the best SMG in Warzone Season 3 reloaded, look no further than the Type 100. Be sure to pair it with one of the best long-range weapons to give yourself a better chance of victory.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData explains why Ghost perk is now “useless” – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData explains why Ghost perk is now “useless” ActivisionTrueGameData is back with more trustworthy Warzone information as he has broken down why the popular meta Perk Ghost is no longer as viable as it once was, and which ones you should use to replace it. Throughout Call of Duty: Warzone’s lifespan, Perks have pretty much remained the same, in terms of how they act, and how popular they are. Certain ones like Amped have been in most players’ third slot since the game launched, and Ghost or Overkill are usually favored for the second slot. A big change for Warzone Season 2 could actually make players stand up and take notice though. TrueGameData, one of Warzone’s most reliable sources of meta information, has done some investigating and found that there might actually be better alternatives for the Perk going forward. Ghost Loadout Perk no longer the play in Warzone? The most significant area where Ghost’s new weaknesses are best highlighted is in Warzone’s Vanguard Royale game mode. New for Warzone Pacific in Caldera, Vanguard Royale only allows players to use weapons and equipment from Sledgehammer Games’ newest entry into the CoD franchise. One of Ghost’s biggest strengths was that it would hide players from enemy UAV devices, meaning they wouldn’t be pinged on the map. But Warzone Season 2 has removed the ability to buy UAVs from Buy Stations. TrueGameData said: “You don’t really need to run Ghost nearly as much anymore, there’s also no Heartbeat Sensors, there’s no Snapshot, there’s no anything that would make you need to run a specific Perk to hide from the enemy pretty much.” He then began to dissect other Perks in the category and pointed out that ‘Tempered’ has been greatly improved in Season 2 as ‘Armor Plates will prioritize refilling 1 full plate of armor before partially refilling damaged plates.’ Meaning Tempered will always guarantee two plates, and potentially save your life in tense battle situations. He also goes on to suggest two other Perks that you could adequately use to replace Ghost as well. “Restock for Stims is super powerful right now because of how good Stims are. If you master Stims you can win so many fights with movement.’ Another suggestion, although not a strong one, is High Alert, with TrueGameData saying: “High Alert is pretty good, unfortunately, High Alert is highly countered by Cold-Blooded.” So we’d conclude that you should consider following TrueGameData’s advice and findings and maybe swap out Ghost for Tempered, Restock, or maybe see if High Alert works for you.

  • Warzone expert TrueGameData breaks down why KG M40 & Whitley won’t be meta – Dexerto

Warzone expert TrueGameData breaks down why KG M40 & Whitley won’t be meta Activision / TrueGameDataWarzone Pacific Season 2 brought exciting new weapons to the battle royale. However, CoD analyst TrueGameData doesn’t see a way the KG M40 or Whitley will become part of the meta. Pacific Season 2 brought loads of new content to the game which included quality of life changes, weapon balancing, and new guns. Since the popular Bren and MP-40 both received nerfs, it opened up the door to an unknown meta this season that’s still pretty flexible. Despite this, TrueGameData reveals why the newly added KG M40 and Whitley are not worth using at all. TrueGameData claims MG M40 & Whitley aren’t worth using Warzone expert TrueGameData has always brought a unique analytical level to the BR. Through his TTK charts, he is able to break down why some weapons are better than others. In a YouTube video, he shows exactly why Warzone newest additions in the KG M40 and Whitley LMG won’t be considered meta weapons in their current state. When looking at the assault rifle KG, his data says that the quickest TTK you can get at medium to long-range is 950. He compared it to the Grau, which has a 650 TTK, and said it’s not worth using over this. “A quarter second is a dramatic, dramatic increase in the TTK, which you won’t be able to overcome.” Transitioning over to the Whitley LMG, which people thought could replace the Bren, it’s a similar story. While the Whitley is decent at medium-range, it falls off way too much when getting past that with around a 730 TTK. Even though he said these can be viable, it will not be the most ideal setup. “Overall I just think there are a lot of better options out there than these two guns right now.” So that doesn’t mean you can’t use these two weapons, it just means that you might lose more gunfights if people are using these other meta guns.

  • Warzone expert reveals Vanguard LMG that “easily” dominates long-range meta – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals Vanguard LMG that “easily” dominates long-range meta Treyarch/ActivisionThe Lienna 57 LMG goes down as Warzone’s final new weapon, and Warzone expert WhosImmortal has the perfect loadout. Warzone Season 5 Reloaded introduced the Lienna 57 LMG, and its arrival flew under the radar. Unlocking the Lienna 57 doesn’t require too much of a time crunch. All you have to do is get 15 long shots, and Plunder may be the easiest way to breeze through the challenge. Warzone’s October 6 update decreased the Lienna 57’s upper torso damage multiplier from 1.05 to 1.0, and its minimum damage was decreased from 27 down to 24. Despite receiving nerfs, the underrated LMG can be deadly with the right loadout. WhosImmortal reveals devastating Lienna 57 loadout. The Lienna 57 performs more like an AR rather than a conventional LMG. The developers stated it can “be configured for snappier midrange play, or it can be extended into a longer-ranged powerhouse.” WhosImmortal opted to transform the Lienna 57 into a long-ranged powerhouse. He argued, “the Lienna 57 over range is about as good as it gets” and compared the upper torso time-to-kill speed to other meta weapons using sym.gg. The Lienna 57 outperforms the STG-44, Vargo 52, and Grau. Based on the TTK stats, WhosImmortal claimed, “the Lienna 57 absolutely falls into the meta right now, easily.” Here is WhosImmortal’s full loadout. Muzzle: MX Silencer Barrell: Frei 432mm Shrouded Optic: G16 2.5x Stock: Wenger NH Adjustable Underbarrell: M1941 Hand Stop Magazine: 8mm Klauser 75 Round Drums Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Hatched Grip Perk: Tight Grip Perk 2: Fully Loaded This loadout sacrifices mobility and speed in favor of an easy-to-control recoil pattern and the ability to mow down enemies at any range. WhoisImmortal said, “for medium range or long range, this is absolutely one of the best choices in the game right now, and it is super easy to use.” Raven Software nerfed the Lienna 57 after this video was released, but this loadout should still provide a top-tier long-range meta option.

  • Warzone expert reveals underrated AR to replace Cronen Squall – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals underrated AR to replace Cronen Squall ActivisonWarzone guru IceManIsaac revealed a “sleeper” pick for the new best long-range meta in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. In the Season 5 update, the Cronen Squall saw its maximum damage and damage multipliers decrease across the board. Those changes weren’t enough, as the battle rifle still dominated Warzone’s long-range meta. So the devs went back in for more as part of the mid-season update and nerfed the Cronen Squall’s head, neck, torso, and limb damage multipliers. This finally opened the door for a new weapon to steal the show. Season 5 Reloaded also buffed the M13B’s damage multipliers to all locations. IceManIsaac explained why this change makes the fast-firing AR a must-use weapon after the most recent update. IceManIsaac crowns new long-range meta king Using stats provided by Sym.gg, IceManIsaac compared Warzone time-to-kill speeds between the Cronen Squall, M13B, Kastov 762, Rapp-H, and Sakin MG38. The YouTuber discovered that the M13B has a faster TTK than the consensus picks for best long-range meta weapons in Season 5 Reloaded. “The M13B is killing faster than the Cronen and the Sakin. That’s insane, and even at long ranges, it’s killing faster than the Kastov and faster than the Cronen. We haven’t ever seen an M13 meta putting up numbers like that.” IceManIsaac called the M13B a sleeper pick for Season 5 reloaded, but the cat is already out of the bag. According to WZ Ranked, the M13B is currently the second most popular weapon in the game, with a 13.9% pick rate. “I think the M13B is going to be a sleeper that many people should start pulling out to use.” Best M13B Warzone loadout IceManIsaac revealed his go-to M13B loadout in Season 5 Reloaded. Muzzle: Harbinger D20 (+0.54, +0.71) – Barrel: 14″ Bruen Echelon (+0.27, +0.27) – Optic: SZ Recharge-DX – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 (+0.62, +0.25) – Magazine: 60 Round Mag – If you still prefer other long-range meta weapons, check out our best Warzone loadouts.

  • Warzone expert reveals slept-on Vanguard LMG class that outperforms meta UGM-8 – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals slept-on Vanguard LMG class that outperforms meta UGM-8 ActivisionWarzone expert and content creator IceManIsaac has outlined the Whitley LMG from Call of Duty: Vanguard as the battle royale’s new “best primary weapon” following nerfs to the UGM-8. Despite the majority of the Call of Duty community now looking ahead to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, plenty of players still want to know the best meta weapons to drop into Caldera’s closing weeks with. Raven has perhaps been heavier with the adjustments than expected, with Season 5 Reloaded shaking up the weapon meta considerably, and subsequent nerfs to the Armaguerra 43 tweaking it again. Despite the lack of clarity that follows such patches, Warzone YouTuber IceManIsaac has outlined a clear pick for the BR’s “best primary weapon”, claiming one forgotten Vanguard LMG outperforms even the most meta guns. Best Whitley LMG class for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded In an October 8 video, the BR guru revealed the Whitley LMG as the best medium to long-range weapon to use in Caldera’s closing weeks, claiming it outperforms the UGM-8 in nearly every way, despite being far behind in terms of pick rate. WZRanked reports that the UGM-8 currently sits at a pick rate of 4.22%, compared to the Whitley’s meager 0.43%. However, players shouldn’t read into the stat too much. According to Isaac, the Whitley LMG has emerged as an “incredible” choice. He said: “The headshot multiplier on the Whitley is disgusting. And it does not move, it has some of the lowest recoil… I’ve ever seen. It rips people off head glitches.” Not only that, but the Whitley is considerably faster to reload than the UGM-8, and boasts better handling. His full recommended loadout is detailed below: Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: 28″ Gracey Mk. 9 – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: CGC R4 – Perk: Hardscope – Perk 2: On-Hand – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Magazine: .303 British 45 Round Mags – Ammunition: Lengthened – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – A final advantage of the Whitley LMG is that it’s actually featured as ground loot in Warzone for some time now, meaning players likely have it fairly leveled up simply as a result of finding it on the ground in early-game scenarios. All players will need is a close-range weapon to make sure they don’t get caught out by nearby enemies. Following the Armaguerra nerfs, your best bet is probably the Vanguard MP-40, which continues to impress in Season 5 Reloaded. With that and the Whitley, you’re bound to rack up those important dubs.

  • Warzone expert reveals slept-on Vanguard AR that’s a “monster” in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals slept-on Vanguard AR that’s a “monster” in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone YouTuber WhosImmortal has unveiled his go-to AS44 loadout, claiming the slept-on Vanguard AR is a “monster at all ranges” in Season 4 Reloaded. Warzone Season 4 Reloaded dropped back in late July, shaking up multiple aspects of the game’s weapon pool. However, rapid balancing has followed, with weapons strengthened in the Reloaded update – like the Kilo 141 – being nerfed again. The result has left players scratching around for strong weapons and, in the AS44, WhosImmortal believes he’s found one. Despite sitting at a pick rate of just 0.6%, the AS44 is one of the best ARs in the game and, according to the Warzone expert, is a “monster at all ranges”. WhosImmortal unveils AS44 build for Warzone Season 4 In an August 6 YouTube video, the Warzone content creator outlined his five favored AR builds following recent balancing changes. Alongside the Vargo 52, NZ-41, Volkssturmgewehr, and KG M40 was the AS44, a Vanguard weapon that has received a fraction of the attention some of its counterparts have had. “If you want a challenge but you want a decent reward with really good TTK go for the AS44,” he said. “This thing is a monster at all ranges.” While the AS44 is slightly more difficult to use than some of the more popular weapon choices, it rewards players who get used to its recoil profile and modest handling. Once they’re mastered, you’ll be able to take on any opponent. WhosImmortal’s full AS44 build is detailed below: Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Kovalevskaya 615mm – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Kovalevskaya Custom – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Mags – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk: Disable – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – As previously stated, the AS44 is very strong at all ranges. Its handling and range do make it most suitable for medium ranges but, once players have acclimated, it can dominate at any distance so long as it’s used sensibly. The choice of secondary is therefore up to the player and their play style. If you want an SMG there’s no better choice than the Armaguerra 43, but if you want a long-range behemoth then opt for the tried and tested HDR. Regardless of what’s in the back pocket, the AS44 in your primary slot will see you start every match in a strong position.

  • Warzone expert reveals “sleeper” Vanguard LMG that shreds in Season 5 meta – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals “sleeper” Vanguard LMG that shreds in Season 5 meta Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone guru WhosImmortal has unveiled a “sleeper” Vanguard LMG that’s absolutely lethal in Season 5 despite its extremely low pick rate. When it comes to picking a weapon in Warzone, most of the community base their selection on pick rates or what is considered strong in the current meta. While this does guarantee you’ll be wielding a powerful loadout, it can become stale using the same guns over and over again. Instead, sometimes it’s better to head off the beaten path and look for underused weapons that are being slept on by the player base. Well, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has identified exactly that in Season 5, showcasing a deadly LMG that no one is using despite its overwhelming power at long range. Best Type 11 loadout in Warzone Season 5 Attachments Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Sakura 487mm Shrouded – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: Shiraishi Custom – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 90 Round Drums – Ammunition: Hollow Point – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk: Brace – Perk2: Fully Loaded – As noted by WhosImmortal, the Type 11’s strength comes from its consistency at long-range and the lack of damage falloff compared to other guns in the meta. This makes it extremely deadly from a distance and with a 90 Round Drum attached, no other weapons come close to the Type 11’s damage per mag, making it easy to wipe out full squads. Not only that, but the underrated LMG also has a relatively stable recoil pattern that will allow you to laser beam enemies with enough practice. Despite all of these positives, the Type 11 has one of the lowest pick rates in the entire game, sitting at a minimal 0.05%. Of course, if you’re going to run this loadout in your matches, it’s key you use the Overkill perk alongside the Type 11. This will give you access to a meta SMG, just in case any pesky foes decide to push your position and look for a close-quarter gunfight. In the current meta, we recommend the PPSh-41 which has made a resurgence in Season 5 and is currently the most popular weapon in Warzone.

  • Warzone expert reveals simple trick to make Lachmann Shroud “overpowered” – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals simple trick to make Lachmann Shroud “overpowered” ActivisionWarzone guru Metaphor explained why more players should consider using the Lachmann Shroud in Warzone. Season 5 reloaded introduced a new SMG, the Lachmann Shroud. Warzone’s latest weapon shares the same weapon platform with the Lachmann Sub, so players assumed it would be unstoppable. According to WZ Ranked, the Lachmann Sub leads all weapons with a 17.6% pick rate. However, the Lachmann Shroud performs very differently than a typical SMG. It can only be used in burst or single fire modes, which may detract some community members from trying it out. Despite a weird profile, Metaphor made his case for why players should learn how to use the unique weapon. Metaphor sings the Lachmann Shroud’s praises in Warzone Warzone community members hyped up the Lachmann Shroud, and Metaphor revealed what makes the weapon so special. “This gun actually has one of the lowest TTKs in the entire game. The only trick is you have to put it on single fire.” After easily winning a WZ match, the YouTuber bought into the weapon. “This thing is the real deal. This gun is very good.” Metaphor did admit that he doesn’t necessarily expect the Lachmann Shroud to take over Warzone’s meta because it is “tedious” to use a single-fire SMG. if players learn how to use it and play to its strengths, the YouTuber argues that they will be rewarded. Players can also opt to use the Lachmann Shroud in burst fire mode, but it’s much harder to control the weapon’s recoil, and they have less control of where their shots go. Best Lachmann Shroud loadout in Warzone Here is Metaphor’s go-to Lachmann Shroud loadout with attachment tuning included. Barrel: 170MM Grapple VI (+0.23, +0.17) – Laser: VLK LZR 7MW (-0.35, -51.00) – Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90 (-0.67, +0.23) – Stock: Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock (-1.81. -0.85) – Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10 (-0.06, -0.12) – If the Lachmann Shroud isn’t quite your cup of tea even after trying it in single-fire, check out our picks for the best Warzone SMG loadouts.

  • Warzone expert reveals secret Owen Gun loadout that dominates in Season 3 – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals secret Owen Gun loadout that dominates in Season 3 Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone YouTuber Metaphor has showcased a “secret” loadout for the Owen Gun that’s perfect for dominating your opponents in Season 3 Classified Arms. When it comes to picking an SMG in Warzone, the majority of players gravitate towards the MP40 as it has remained the most popular weapon in the game for several months. However, in recent weeks, another competitor has risen up through the ranks and is considered by some to be the strongest close-quarter gun on Caldera and Rebirth Island. This weapon is the Owen Gun, and although it received a set of nerfs in the Classified Arms patch, it has retained its mind-blowing TTK. Despite this, in order to get the most out of the weapon, Warzone YouTuber Metaphor and pro player WarsZ have outlined some significant changes to the meta loadout to ensure it still dominates after the update. Meta Season 3 Owen Gun Warzone loadout Attachments Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: – – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Removed Stock – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Perk 1: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – As showcased by Metaphor and WarsZ this “secret” build for the Owen Gun was created in response to the Season 3 nerfs that hit the Hockenson 142mm Rapid, decreasing its fire rate from 19% to 16%. Now, instead of equipping a barrel, this build removes that attachment and focuses on maximizing mobility, making it a dominant force on Rebirth Island. To ensure the Owen Gun still has a lethal TTK, the setup runs the 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum that increases damage, bullet penetration, and bullet velocity. While this does come with the extra recoil, it’s well worth the setback and you’ll be running a primary AR or sniper for long-range engagements anyway. Keep in mind, that this loadout may take some practice to master as the hefty kickback can make it difficult to control. However, this build is definitely worth testing out in your games as it has the potential to outshine the MP40. Finally, we recommend running the Cold War AK47 or Cooper Carbine alongside the Owen Gun as the SMG does struggle to take down enemies from afar.

  • Warzone expert reveals secret attachment and perk buffs after Season 4 update – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals secret attachment and perk buffs after Season 4 update ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has outlined a host of Season 4 changes to Gunsmith attachments in the CoD battle royale, claiming players need to make urgent changes to their classes to stay ahead of the meta. As has become natural with Warzone, seasonal updates and Raven’s patches change much about the game, ensuring the meta remains fresh and players remain engaged. That was certainly the case with Season 4, which adjusted a host of weapons and attachments when it dropped late in June. However, not all changes feature prominently in the patch notes, meaning players can explore different content to find hidden gems. That appears to be the case with Warzone expert and content creator WhosImmortal, who claims a number of attachments received secret buffs in recent patches and are significantly stronger in-game as a result. Vanguard attachments get secret buffs in Warzone Season 4 Outlining the changes in his 15 July YouTube video, he explained that the Hand Stop underbarrel is no longer the go-to attachment for that slot, with different weapons benefitting from different underbarrel attachments. The real secret, though, lies in attachments that give players in-game boosts, despite not always appearing in the Gunsmith. An example is the On Hand perk, which has long been rumored to provide players with an ADS boost. That is now confirmed in the Gunsmith following recent patches. So, what other weapon attachments give players secret buffs? One is Disable, a perk that has previously been “pretty useless” because it encourages players to aim at enemy legs. Recent changes, though, have seen it buffed and it now considerably improves a weapon’s muzzle velocity, meaning bullets will hit their targets faster. Another relates to stocks that have the ‘Pro’ property: “Accuracy and recoil during sustained fire.” Stacking these attachments will massively recoil, but pairing them with different recoil attachments can actually negate their benefits completely. In short, match up attachments that improve “sustained” recoil with others that do the same. Likewise, match up attachments that improve “initial” recoil with others that do the same. Mixing the two kinds of attachments actually undoes their benefits. There are doubtless more hidden attachment benefits in Warzone, it’s just a case of players finding them and working out exactly what they do. For now, though, drop in with Disable and double-check your attachments match up correctly, and you’ll be well on your way to winning more matches.

  • Warzone expert reveals perfect Volk loadout to replicate FFAR meta – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals perfect Volk loadout to replicate FFAR meta ActivisionWarzone’s FFAR was a shining star for a brief time in 2021 and Warzone expert TrueGameData has found the perfect Volk loadout to take players back into a different era of the game. Back in early 2021, the quick-hitting FFAR was one of Warzone’s most lethal weapons. Featuring a blistering TTK and an unmatched ADS strafe speed there was nothing that the Cold War classic couldn’t handle. It has since fallen down the ladder quite substantially and won’t often appear on any Top Weapons lists on the web. While the gun’s glory days are far behind it, TrueGameData’s Volk class is such a good replacement you’ll hardly notice a difference. hey @AverageJoeWo you liked the FFAR strafe meta right? you have to try this as your sub, it is comical. you can strafe as fast as normal movement speed pic.twitter.com/X2uOM9wOEW — 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 (@TrueGameData) May 9, 2022 TrueGameData’s Volk loadout replicates FFAR meta This setup is all about keeping on the move as you shoot and will nicely serve as a secondary to any long-range primary weapon in your arsenal. Five of the gun’s ten attachments work in harmony to keep you light on your feet in gunfights, so even SMG players will have a hard time trying to match your mobility. That means the VDD 287mm barrel, Reisdorf 22V Adjustable stock, M3 Ready Grip, and Grooved Grip are the core pieces of this build. Meta Warzone Volk loadout Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Hockenson 142mm Rapid – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Removed Stock – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Fabric Grip – Perk 1: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – The other attachments and perks simply make the gun easier to use or are intended to keep you safe. Recoil Booster improves accuracy while the Subsonic rounds keep you off of the minimap when firing, and the Slate Reflector is the optimal option for up-close combat. Being able to sprint while firing also comes in handy with a movement-based weapon, so Gung-ho pays off big time in ramping up this loadout’s effectiveness. All in all, if you’re looking to outstrafe your enemies and make them wonder where their bullets just went, there’s no better class to turn to. Alternatively, you could try out another TrueGameData-approved AR that he believes rivals the Cold War AK as the best gun in the game.

  • Warzone expert reveals NZ-41 “wasn’t really nerfed” in July 7 update – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals NZ-41 “wasn’t really nerfed” in July 7 update ActivisionThe NZ-41 has been the dominant weapon in Warzone for some time now, leading Raven to nerf the Assault Rifle multiple times. However, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed that the latest nerf, in the June 7 update, did virtually nothing to make the NZ-41 less effective. After being largely forgotten since the release of Vanguard, a huge buff to the NZ-41 in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded quickly saw it overtake the STG44 as the number one weapon in the game. In fact, the gun has become so powerful, that the devs have looked to nerf it multiple times, first in the Season 4 update, then on June 30. The most recent nerf was supposed to have come in the July 7 update. However, Warzone expert WhoIsmmortal has revealed that this isn’t actually the case. Warzone stats show NZ-41 wasn’t nerfed in July 7 update According to the July 7 patch notes, the NZ-41 received a 20% reduction in recoil recovery. In his July 11 video, WhosImmortal shared stats from Sym.gg that revealed the change is far less significant in practice. Sym.gg “data mines all the stats from the game” and sees exactly how each weapon is functioning according to the files. They found that the recoil recovery of the NZ-41 has actually only been reduced by 2.78% instead of the advertised 20%. “That NZ recoil recovery really isn’t going to feel any different than ‘pre-nerf,’ quote, unquote, because it wasn’t really nerfed,” the YouTuber explained. He went on to mention that even if the nerf had functioned as intended, the NZ-41 wouldn’t be any worse off. “Also, recoil recovery is not a major factor in most weapons, especially the NZ. Even if the nerf was correct at 20% – nerfing 20% of nothing is still nothing.” WhosImmortal did, however, agree the NZ-41 should be made less overpowered and even suggested how Raven could achieve this. “The NZ needs a lot more kick, just in general, the recoil is way too easy and it probably needs a damage dropoff over range to really feel like a balanced meta weapon,” said the YouTuber. “If they were to that it’d still be a top choice, in my opinion, but not the overbearing number one choice.” Raven is yet to comment on whether or not this was a deliberate decision or a mistake on their part, but we’d imagine that another nerf to the NZ-41 could be coming in the Season 4 Reloaded update, if not before.

  • Warzone expert reveals major XM4 loadout mistake players are still making – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals major XM4 loadout mistake players are still making ActivisionWarzone expert and YouTuber WhosImmortal has outlined why the Cold War XM4 assault rifle is a dominant force on Rebirth Island Reinforced, but leaves plenty to be desired in the open spaces of Caldera. The Black Ops Cold War XM4 was perpetually popular in the annual title’s multiplayer, but has been more in and out of Warzone’s meta since it was introduced. Season 2 of the Vanguard era though, has seen it rise to be one of the fan-favorite weapons thanks to its high fire rate, strong damage, and manageable recoil. However, according to Warzone specialist WhosImmortal, many players make a big mistake with the XM4, which could be hindering their ability to accumulate wins in the Call of Duty battle royale. In an April 23 YouTube video, Immortal outlined the profiles of three meta ARs – the XM4, the Cold War AK-47, and the Vargo. Because of the range profile of the XM4, it is ideally suited to close-range gunfights where it significantly outperforms either the AK-47 or the Vargo. On top of this, its damage output makes it most suitable for taking out enemies with a maximum of 250 health. Currently, Caldera matches allow players to have up to 300HP (150 health and 150 from armor), while Rebirth Island matches allow players to have 250HP (100 health and 150 from armor). As such, the XM4 is uniquely suited to Rebirth Island matches. Immortal summarised: “The XM4, like I said, is significantly worse than the Cold War AK or the Vargo if you’re playing on Caldera… If you’re on Rebirth and you’re trying to fry, the XM4 is the very clear and obvious choice.” Outlining his specific class for the XM4, it’s a fairly standard one and is detailed below. Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 13.5″ Task Force – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: STANAG 60 Rnd – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – We’d also recommend dropping in with a sniper or a SMG, just to ensure you’re completely covered depending on your preferred playstyle.

  • Warzone expert reveals low-recoil Modern Warfare LMG that still decimates enemies – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals low-recoil Modern Warfare LMG that still decimates enemies Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone guru WhosImmortal has showcased a powerful loadout for an overlooked Modern Warfare LMG that could be a hidden gem in Season 4 Reloaded. Season 4 Reloaded has shaken up the meta and made it hard to pick out which weapons are worth using in Warzone. While the KG M40 has skyrocketed in popularity and the NZ-41 remains a strong choice, sometimes it’s better to take a look off the beaten path. Although it’s possible to test out countless off-meta picks, it can often be better to take advice from an expert so you’re guaranteed to see results. Well, luckily Warzone YouTuber WhosImmortal has unveiled a Modern Warfare LMG loadout that is being underrated by the community and could be an under-the-radar OP pick. Best PKM Warzone loadout in Season 4 Reloaded Attachments Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: 26.9″ Extended Barrel – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Snatch Grip – If you struggle to control recoil and want a long-range weapon that can beam down enemies with ease, it may be time to test out the PKM. Endorsed by WhosImmortal as a “low recoil powerhouse”, this LMG lacks mobility but certainly makes up for it in stability and damage. The build above maximizes the gun’s bullet velocity and ensures it’s a force to be reckoned with from a distance. While the PKM’s pick rate is sitting at an extremely low 0.3%, it’s a weapon that has the potential to rise up through the rankings and is perfect for those who love off-meta options. Topic starts at 5:27 It’s worth noting that the PKM will not be particularly effective at close quarters, so running Overkill is a must with this LMG. While a shotgun secondary like the VLK Rogue could be an option, we prefer a meta SMG like the H4 Blixen or Marco 5. So, if you want to surprise your enemies in Season 4 Reloaded with a gun you don’t see very often, the powerful PKM is well worth using.

  • Warzone expert reveals Lachmann Shroud loadout that “beats every SMG” – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals Lachmann Shroud loadout that “beats every SMG” ActivisionThe Warzone meta seems to be expanding over time, with no one weapon really completely dominant, meaning that a number of guns could come in to break the meta — and this SMG could be set to be the real surprise package ahead of Modern Warfare 3. While most Call of Duty players are gearing up for the launch of MW3 on November 10, Warzone players have to wait a little longer for their major update, meaning they’re still grinding out the battle royale and seeking out new ways to get the better of their opponents. This rings especially true for those who are often seeking out meta-busting loadouts to really take their foes by surprise. With so many different guns looking to challenge the meta in the final few weeks of Al Mazrah, one expert has found a Lachmann Shroud that might just do the trick. Metaphor’s meta-breaking Lachmann Shroud According to Metaphor, this Lachmann Shroud loadout literally beats every other SMG in the game — including the likes of the ISO and the Lachmann Sub. Here’s how he builds his Lachmann Shroud: Barrel: 170mm Grapple VI – Underbarrel: Cronen Grooveshot Grip – Laser: Point-G3P 04 – Stock: LM Stockless Mod – Ammunition: 9mm Sub HP – Metaphor uses his Lachmann Shroud as a sniper support weapon, where it can definitely excel due to its versatility, allowing you to really maximize the engagements you’re able to take and win. As always, it’s well worth testing out this weapon in the firing range and when dropping into Al Mazrah, Vondel, or Ashika Island, but you should also remember to build it to really suit your playstyle too. If you feel like a different stock or underbarrel would work better for example, then try it and see.

  • Warzone expert reveals forgotten Cold War AR that’s meta after Season 4 buff – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals forgotten Cold War AR that’s meta after Season 4 buff ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has outlined the Black Ops Cold War AUG assault rifle as a “meta” weapon following its Season 4 buff, even though its pick-rate remains incredibly low. Warzone’s fourth season began on June 22, bringing a wealth of changes to the battle royale. It saw the most meta weapons nerfed and a number of others buffed to try and balance out an imperfect weapon pool. We’ve also seen supplementary patches since then, with the July 1 update weakening the dominant NZ-41 and H4 Blixen considerably. As such, players are scratching around for the next meta weapon and, according to Warzone content creator WhosImmortal, it could well be the completely forgotten Black Ops Cold War AUG. In a July 2 YouTube video, the creator outlined the AUG’s impressive damage and TTK, despite its pick-rate being amongst the lowest in the game. It currently sits at a pick-rate just above 0.1%, paling in comparison to weapons like the MP40 or STG44, which sit between 5% and 10%. However, delving a little deeper reveals a gun that kills as quickly as some of the game’s most-used guns and, with minimal recoil and excellent range, can be a medium to long-range monster so long as players can dispense bullets accurately. “Through the first 40 meters the AUG is not really anything that crazy,” he said. “Then, over range, the AUG has the lack of a damage drop off and it actually becomes the second-best [TTK] on this list.” He then built his favored loadout, making the Cold War AUG incredibly strong at medium to longer ranges. Best AUG Loadout for Warzone Season 4 Muzzle: Agency Silencer – Barrel: 17″ Titanium – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Magazine: 45 Rnd Drum – Because of its real strength lying in medium to longer ranges, the AUG is best used as your main weapon, with a close-range option in the back pocket. Something like the MP40 or Marco 5 is probably best in Warzone’s current version. The combination of both, in the right hands, will be lethal.

  • Warzone expert reveals Cold War AR that is “top tier” after buff – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals Cold War AR that is “top tier” after buff ActivisionWarzone’s Season 5 Reloaded update has opened up the meta a little and now an underused Cold War AR is “better than ever” according to one expert. We’re a few weeks away from the Call of Duty switching from Warzone to Warzone 2.0, but the original battle royale is still going pretty strong. While it’s not exactly the end of Verdansk – where players were dropping in for an emotional goodbye – they are still trying to send things off in a big way. That’s been helped by all the weapon changes in the Season 5 Reloaded update, which has brought a few Modern warfare weapons back into the meta. It’s also provided a bit of help for Black Ops Cold War weapons too. That includes the QBZ which, according to WhosImmortal, is better than its ever been and a top-tier choice at this point. Best QBZ loadout for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded The Warzone stats guru highlighted the assault rifle in his October 12 video, noting how the buff from the recent update has made it pretty viable in-game. “It (the update) makes it better than the QBZ has ever been. Honestly, it has been a decent rifle for quite some time but now though, thanks to this buff, it got a little step up and it’s right there with some of the best non-Vanguard guns and honestly a top-tier rifle right now,” he said. The YouTuber pointed to the fact that, if you run the standard meta loadout, the QBZ now beats the Automaton and STG in terms of TTK. It’s also competitive with the XM4, and even beats its Cold War counterpart in fights between 30 and 45 meters. If you’ve stayed away from the QBZ and don’t know what the meta build is, don’t fret, we’ve got it below. Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 15.5 Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: STANAG 60-round drum – As noted, the QBZ has certainly flown under the radar in the last few months, with its pick rate dropping down to around 0.16 according to WZRanked. Though it does have a solid 2.28 ratio when it comes to wins. The assault rifle is unlikely to fly up the charts anytime soon, seeing as more love is being shown to Modern Warfare weapons, but it’s worth running if you’ve got everything unlocked. It’s clearly more than just a nostalgia trip.

  • Warzone expert reveals buffed sniper loadout that rivals classic Kar98 build – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals buffed sniper loadout that rivals classic Kar98 build ActivisionIf you’ve missed the classic sniping feel in Warzone, well, there’s a 3-Line Rifle loadout that IceManIsaac is rocking that rivals the old faithful Kar98K build. Ever since Warzone first launched, snipers have had a pretty big role to play in the Call of Duty battle royale. With Verdansk being so vast, snipers were necessary to pick off enemies at long-range. Up until Season 3 of Warzone Pacific, the Kar98K and Swiss K31 ruled the meta, as the two long-range options blended speed and power into two pretty deadly packages. Other snipers have taken their place, but they hardly match that feeling of quick scoping with the Kar98 that players loved. Though, if you follow IceManIsaac’s new build for the 3-Line Rifle, you may just be able to replicate that classic feeling of being able to quick scope at close range, and deliver accurate headshots at long-range too. In his June 29 video, the NRG content creator – who is a bit of an expert on sniping in Warzone – highlighted the Vanguard weapon as being the one to bring back that classic sniping feeling. Comparing it to the classic meta Kar98 build, Isaac showed that the 3-Line Rifle has just a slightly slower ADS speed, but a better Muzzle Velocity – making it a solid and comparable choice. “It is viable on Fortune’s Keep, Rebirth Island, and especially on Caldera,” the YouTuber said, noting that the build focuses on buffing the 3-Line Rifle’s ADS abilities, while also managing to keep its damage range pretty high too. Best 3-Line Rifle loadout in Warzone Muzzle: Mercury Silencer – Barrel: Empress 514mm FO1 – Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal – Optic: ZF4 3.5x Rifle Scope – Stock: ZAC Custom MZ – Ammunition: Lengthened – Magazine: 30-06 2o-round mags – Rear Grip: Taped Grip – Perk 1: Silent Focus – Perk 2: On-Hand – If you’ve dove into a Warzone game recently, you have probably run across players using the 3-Line Rifle – it hasn’t exactly been abandoned – but they’ve not been rocking this build. It’s tough to see the snipers taking over as much as they did in the past, given how players have adapted to the SMG meta, but don’t be surprised to see the long-range weapons have somewhat of a renaissance.

  • Warzone expert reveals “broken” attachment that amplifies grenade spam issue – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals “broken” attachment that amplifies grenade spam issue ActivisionWarzone expert B1inkin revealed an assault rifle attachment that only worsens the battle royale’s grenade spam problem. Season 3 Reloaded unintentionally broke Warzone’s meta by introducing an unlimited lethal equipment exploit. Raven Software quickly resolved the issue, but it recently reared its ugly head in Season 5. Players can fill all five backpack slots with grenades, bringing the total to 10 at a time. Warzone content creator IceManIsaac fell victim to this exploit and called for the devs to fix grenade spam in Ranked Play. The YouTuber shared a video of over 10 grenades being thrown into his team’s room and ending their match. Part of the problem stems from players being able to stack equipment items in their inventory. IceManIsaac suggested that players shouldn’t be able to stow lethals. The devs have yet to respond to complaints, and a new secret attachment only adds insult to injury. Drill charge underbarrel wreaks havoc in Warzone During a streaming, a chat member told B1inkin it’s possible to put a drill charge underbarrel attachment on ARs. He didn’t believe them but then found the SPW 40mm Drill, which can be equipped on the Cronen Squall, M13B, and M4. For those unfamiliar, the drill charge is a new equipment item in Warzone that launches an explosive through a wall or object. It’s perfect for dealing with campers in the room of a building or enemies hiding behind cover. The SPW 40mm Drill is just like a classic “noob tube,” but instead of grenades, shoots drill charges. And it just so happens that the Cronen Squall is Warzone’s second most popular weapon with a 15.3% pick rate, according to WZRanked. B1inkin tested the SPW 40mm Drill on the fan-favorite battle rifle in the firing range and made a startling discovery. Most players tend to use the FTAC Ripper underbarrel because it offers improved aiming idle stability and recoil stabilization. The SPW 40mm Drill only helps recoil stabilization, but after firing it side-by-side with the FTAC Ripper, B1inkin concluded both attachments have the same recoil pattern. So, even though the FTAC Ripper is still the go-to attachment, don’t be surprised if you see more drill charges in Warzone. Paired with the lethal equipment exploit plaguing matches, no room or cover is safe anymore.

  • Warzone expert reveals best Snakeshots loadout as OP pistols return – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals best Snakeshots loadout as OP pistols return ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the best Snakeshot loadout as the overpowered Pistols return to break the Warzone Meta all over again. Season 1 of Warzone 2 saw an incredibly powerful weapon that was often deemed either broken or overpowered. The Basilisk Pistol is already a pretty powerful gun, but when it was combined with Shakeshots, most players became a force to be reckoned with, often taking down shielded enemies with two shots to the chest. Now, the OP pistol is making a return during Warzone 2’s Season 4 Reloaded, with expert WhosImmortal sharing their pick for the most overpowered Snakeshot Basilisk pistol loadout. Best Basilisk Snakeshot loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: 10.5″ FTAC Arrow Barrel – Laser: REV0-LSD 7MW – Rear Grip: Akimbo Basilisk – Trigger Action: Bryson Match Grade – Ammunition: .500 Snakeshots – As described by WhosImmortal, the Snakeshot is “almost unbeatable” in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded, specifically in close range. Paired with the Basilisk weapon and the Akimbo style, players won’t need to worry about aiming down sight or recoil smoothness, focusing more on pure power, speed, and just incredible damage. On top of this, with a handy 10.5″ FTAC Arrow Barrel and REV0-LSD 7MW laser, you can maximize its damage, range, movement speed, and sprint to fire, making you a force to be reckoned with when going up close to an enemy. With players quickly realizing the power of this loadout, the Basilisk has dramatically increased in popularity, with the pick rate jumping from 0.25 to a whopping 9.15 in just a few days. With this in mind, you’ll want to get in there first and try out the new meta before the entire map is filled with this OP loadout.l So if you’re a fan of testing potentially broken loadouts and love finding the next hidden gem, add this weapon to your loadout list, especially if you prefer fighting at close range.

  • Warzone expert reveals best new meta weapons after Season 3 update – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals best new meta weapons after Season 3 update ActivisionWarzone Season 3 has arrived with a huge number of changes to the game’s growing roster of weapons, completely shifting the balance of power. Warzone guru WhosImmortal has picked out the guns that have crept into the meta following the major update. As is the case with every major update, Warzone Season 3 has gone through great lengths to shake up the existing meta. Buffs and nerfs to many tried-and-tested weapons, as well as the introduction of the new Nikita AVT and M1916, have changed which guns are among the best. While some have kept their place at the top, a few outsiders that weren’t considered Warzone’s most effective weapons have snuck into the meta in Season 3. Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the new meta on Caldera. During his April 28 video, WhosImmortal broke down every single weapon in Warzone, ranking them into tiers from “garbage” up to “meta.” In between, he also had rankings of “niche, below average, viable, and competitive.” Many of the known meta weapons like the Welgun or XM4 kept their place in the top tier, but the YouTuber felt that two from the second rank have now earned a promotion. First up, he considered the Modern Warfare AUG to now be a meta weapon on Caldera. “The TTK on this thing is crazy. With the ammo conversion or the 9mm, it’s kind of nuts how powerful this is,” WhosImmortal explained. “So, I do feel it has a home in top meta right now.” Then he moved the FARA 83 from the lower end of “competitive” into the highest tier. He justified his decision by saying: “It’s got a very, very similar TTK to things like the Vargo or XM4. It’s got good recoil and if it can match that TTK then the stats sort of speak for themselves.” After the changes, he showed off the 14 weapons that he now believes make up the Warzone Season 3 meta: AK-47 – C58 – Vargo 52 – XM4 – LAPA – CR-56 Amax – Type 100 – Owen Gun – MP-40 – PPSh-41 – Sten – Welgun – AS44 – DP27 – Other weapons didn’t fare so well. Many of the game’s Sniper Rifles have been seriously hurt by the drastic Season 3 nerf, which means that many can no longer score one-shot kills with headshots unless enemies are within around 50 meters. This means that for the first time in a long-time, the Kar98k and Swiss K31 slipped out of the meta. The Bren also got hit with another nerf, impacting its horizontal recoil and overall damage, which saw it fall from meta into competitive. WhosImmortal said: “It’s going to be a decent option for players, but it’s nowhere near what it once was.” Immortal also had his say on the two weapons and where they fit in the current meta. He noted that the Nikta AVT is “is feeling pretty good” thanks to its good range and low recoil, before placing it in “competitive.” The M1916, however, got stuck in Tier 3 as he believed it was “awkward to use.” Now that you know which weapons have joined the meta in Warzone Season 3, be sure to get in there and level them up ahead of the Operation Monarch event and the arrival of King Kong and Godzilla.

  • Warzone expert reveals best long-range loadouts after health increase – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals best long-range loadouts after health increase ActivisionWarzone Season 2 Reloaded ushered in plenty of changes to Raven Software’s battle royale, completely shifting the meta in the process. Luckily, CoD expert WhosImmortal has broken down the best long-range loadouts to keep players competitive. After consulting the community, Raven Software made the decision to raise the maximum health in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded from 100 to 150. This, along with the number of buffs and nerfs to the game’s weapons, totally shook up the meta. Caldera is well-known for its vast open spaces, so mastering long-range combat is essential if you want to claim victory. But as players come to terms with the new changes that have been implemented, picking out the perfect weapon can be tricky. Luckily, CoD aficionado WhosImmortal has broken down the best loadouts to make long-range encounters on Caldera a breeze in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded. Contents In his April 4 video uploaded to his channel, WhosImmortal broke down the very best weapons to use for long-range combat, covering Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and LMGs. He noted that the meta is incredibly “open” right now, but the guns listed here are the top choices if you want to be as competitive as possible in every fight. Best long-range Assault Rifles in Warzone When it comes to Assault Rifles, WhosImmortal believed that the Cold War offerings are strongest at distance, and there are four viable options that all use the exact same class setup. Vanguard Assault Rifles have been dominant in Caldera since the move from Verdansk, but the Warzone YouTuber felt that the XM4, AK-47, Vargo 52, and the C58 are the top dogs for picking off enemies at a distance. Check out his recommended attachments below: Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 18.5” Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Best Sniper Rifles in Warzone In the Sniper category, it won’t be a huge surprise to long-time players which two guns stood out. The Kar98k and Swiss K31 have been permanent fixtures in the meta on Caldera, and WhosImmortal believed that this is set to continue in Season 2 Reloaded. Unlike the Assault Rifles, however, these two options have their own pros and cons. The Kar has the slowest reload speed of the pair, but the Swiss has a more “inconsistent” bullet velocity that can prove troublesome. Immortal noted that it’s a “50/50 split” between them, so it’s all about choosing the Sniper Rifle that works best for you. Take a look at his setup for each below: Kar98K Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″ – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Sniper Scope – Perk: Focus – Swiss K31 Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight – Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip – Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap – Best long-range LMG in Warzone The Bren, which has been the king of LMGs in recent weeks, is expected to be nerfed very soon, leaving a glaring hole at the top of the meta. WhosImmortal said that the Bruen MK9 is set to take the top spot, calling it one of his “all-time favorite weapons.” “This thing has no damage drop-off, it’s insanely good,” he explained. “Currently, it already beats the Bren in a handful of ways, so when it gets nerfed it’s going to be even better than it was before.” You can see his setup for the Bruen MK9 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: XRK Summit 26.8″ – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Magazine: 60 Round Mags – Those were the long-range loadouts in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded according to WhosImmortal, be sure to run one of these the next time you land in Caldera. For more on Warzone, check out JGOD’s best “close-range meta” loadouts.

  • Warzone expert reveals “amazing” news for sniper fans in Modern Warfare 3 – Dexerto

Warzone expert reveals “amazing” news for sniper fans in Modern Warfare 3 ActivisionWarzone guru Metaphor reassured fans that sniper rifles will once again be viable in Modern Warfare 3, thanks to new weapon profiles. Infinity Ward announced that MW2 weapon progression, operator skins, and weapon blueprints will move over to Modern Warfare 3 as part of the Carry Forward program. This means players will keep their leveled-up weapons and attachments. Warzone content creator WhosImmortal argued that MW2 weapons won’t be as effective in MW3 because the devs will want players to pay more attention to the new weapons. Fellow streamer Metaphor pushed back against that claim and made a case for why MW2 guns will hold their own. Metaphor explains why MW2 weapons will be viable in MW3 After playing Warzone at COD Next, Metaphor confirmed that sniper rifles would once again be able to one-shot kill enemies in Modern Warfare 3. But similar to Caldera, there will reportedly be a range limit on how far you can one-shot kill someone. In WZ2, High-Velocity ammunition only made the VIctus XMR, FJX Imperium, and MCPR-300 one-shot kill weapons. The other snipers fell out of favor with Warzone players, without the ability to one-shot kill enemies. Thankfully, Metaphor believes there is a “really good chance” MW2 snipers like the SP-X 80 and LA-B 330 will be sped up and changed to one-shot kill weapons in MW3’s Warzone iteration. To back up his claim, Metaphor spoke about JGOD, claiming that Sledgehammer told him directly that: “There is a completely new weapon profile they can attach to these guns that changes them to the MW3 profiles. The YouTuber isn’t quite sure what that entails, but hopes that this makes weapons such as the SPX and other weapons quicker. It was impossible to tell during the MW3 beta, as MW2 weapons weren’t available. We will better understand how the meta shakes out when Modern Warfare 3’s Warzone expansion releases later this year.

  • Warzone expert picks best meta weapon after Season 5 update – Dexerto

Warzone expert picks best meta weapon after Season 5 update ActivisionWarzone stats expert WhosImmortal laid out his tier list of weapons following the Season 5 update, naming a Vanguard AR as the best gun in the battle royale. The final big seasonal update for Warzone has finally dropped in the form of Warzone Pacific Season 5, with a whole host of changes shaking up the battle royale in a pretty big way. On top of Caldera undergoing some map changes, and the new Doomsday Station being introduced, a wide range of weapon buffs and nerfs have also rocked the battle royale’s meta. As a result of the changes, the likes of the KG M40, Marco 5, H4 Blixen, and MP40 have slipped down the pick rates ever so slightly. And, while there is a new top dog in town, it’s a weapon that will be pretty familiar – especially to players who’ve played the last few seasons. STG-44 is Warzone’s best weapon for Season 5 Following the update, Warzone guru WhosImmortal revealed his all-new weapon tier list on August 26, picking the STG-44 as the best weapon for the new season. “The STG did see some slight nerfs, it got a control nerf, but it also got an ADS buff for what its worth. It’s still super, super easy to use in terms of control,” he said. “It can still absolutely beam players at long-range, medium range, doesn’t matter. “It and the KG were my number one and two for true rifles last season and now, I think, the KG being down in competitive, very competitive for what its worth, the STG is certainly a better pick, so, I think it stays in the top meta for now.” Timestamp of 7:05 The YouTuber’s take on things hasn’t been completely reflected when it comes to pick rates, seeing as the Armaguerra and Grau lead the way on WZRanked. It remains to be seen how the meta shakes out over the next couple of weeks, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see players return to the STG before long. Especially if experts like Immortal are highlighting it.

  • Warzone expert outlines underrated Cold War “perfect” for Season 5 Solos – Dexerto

Warzone expert outlines underrated Cold War “perfect” for Season 5 Solos Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone expert and YouTuber Metaphor has pinpointed the Black Ops Cold War AK-47 as the “perfect” assault rifle for Season 5 Solos, despite its pick-rate sitting at well below some of the most meta options. Warzone’s life-cycle is quickly winding down, with fans, creators and developers turning their attention to Warzone 2.0, the highly-anticipated sequel battle royale. However, players of the first WZ are still eager to know which guns they should be dropping into Caldera with. While the most ‘meta’ weapons are generally those most-picked by Warzone’s player base, certains guns can be just as viable and powerful but not command comparably high pick-rates. That is certainly the case with the Black Ops Cold War AK-47, the series favorite AR that, according to Warzone expert and YouTuber Metaphor, is “perfect” for Season 5 Solos. Metaphor reveals Cold War AK-47 class that shreds in Season 5 The classic CoD weapon has flirted with the meta in recent seasons but, in Season 5, finds itself some way short of the most used guns. Currently, according to stats site WZRanked, it sits at a pick rate of 0.7%. Players shouldn’t discard it based on that, though, with Metaphor insisting that it’s “perfectly usable [and] totally meta.” Its only real weakness (and one that won’t surprise any seasoned CoD players) is its kick, which is slightly more volatile and difficult to control than other laser-like ARs. As a result it might take players some time to adjust and it won’t be suitable for the longest of ranges. Other than that, it shreds enemies with high damage, strong range and solid handling. Metaphor’s recommended loadout is below: Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Barrel: 20” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Magazine: 45 Round – Because the AK thrives at medium ranges, players can choose whether their secondary is a SMG or sniper. Naturally, this will depend on playstyle and player preference. The AK-47 in your primary slot will keep you competitive regardless.

  • Warzone expert outlines ‘OP’ attachment that no one knows about – Dexerto

Warzone expert outlines ‘OP’ attachment that no one knows about ActivisionWarzone guru Metaphor has uncovered a “sleeper OP” attachment for rifles that is pretty perfect for dealing with riot shield users and playing solos in general. Over the last few years, the Create A Class system in Call of Duty has undergone some pretty massive changes. In Warzone, players are able to tune their favorite guns to their heart’s content. This, at the minute, usually involves focusing on balancing bullet velocity and recoil, just so you’re getting the most out of your favorite rifle. Players have been focusing mostly on Muzzles, Underbarrels, Barrels, and Rear Grips as key attachments – though, it is really up to you on some, given personal preference. However, there could now be a key Underbarrel for those who have had enough of Riot Shield users or just want an easier way to root campers out from their hiding holes. And, no one has a clue about it. ‘OP’ attachment is perfect for dealing with Warzone Riot Shields Well, according to Metaphor, the Drill Charge firing Underball – the KL40-M2 Drill – is pretty “overpowered” in Warzone right now, especially if you’re tired of people camping out in rooms. “When you have this, you get six or seven drill charges and you can spam these things,” he said in his September 10 video. “If you have Fast Hands on, you reload in like one second and then shoot another one. You can completely take an entire building down with just drill charges and push the hell out of people.” Timestamp of 0:30 While some players might dismiss it as a gimmick, the Warzone guru says it is “viable” right now and is “sleeper OP” to those who may ignore it. Unlocking the attachment requires you to get 10 direct kills with a Drill Charge – so, sticking someone with one. Many players will have done that already without even thinking about it, but if you haven’t and want to try the underbarrel out, you know what to do.

  • Warzone expert outlines “best sniper” class to dominate in Al-Mazrah – Dexerto

Warzone expert outlines “best sniper” class to dominate in Al-Mazrah ActivisionWarzone expert and YouTuber Metaphor has outlined his early pick for Warzone 2’s “best sniper” claiming the SP-X 80 is the perfect long range weapon to dominate Al-Mazrah. Warzone 2.0 is finally here and players all round the world are dropping into their first games on the new Al-Mazrah environment, discovering all new POIs alongside some classic areas we’ve seen in fan favorite CoD games. There’s plenty of large open areas in Al-Mazrah so we do expect snipers to become as meta as they were in the original Warzone, even if the way Loadouts work has slightly changed to reduce the reliance on Overkill classes. As a result, players are scrambling to find Warzone 2’s best weapons and the most meta guns. Thankfully, CoD expert Metaphor has outlined his go-to sniper in Al-Mazrah’s opening weeks, claiming the SP-X 80 is the perfect long-range gun thanks to its speed, range and damage. Best Warzone 2 Sniper Loadout: SP-X 80 build for Al-Mazrah In a YouTube video on November 16, the BR specialist explained that, because Warzone 2 does not enable many snipers to achieve one-shot knocks, the best long-range rifles are those that are quicker and more forgiving. Specifically, the SP-X 80 is a nice balanced option, with modest recoil and decent handling, but still enough damage and range to tear through enemy armor at almost any range. He also outlined his full loadout, complete with attachment tuning: Muzzle: FTAC Reaper (max ADS speed) – Ammunition: .300 High Velocity (max Damage Range) – Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip – Stock: PVZ-890 TAC Stock (max ADS speed & max aiming idle stability) – Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser (max ADS speed & max sprint-to-fire speed) – Naturally, you’ll need a solid close-to-medium range weapon to accompany your SP-X 80. While a quick and strong sniper, it comes with all the caveats that the weapon category brings and won’t be suitable for close-quarters scenarios. Right now, there’s not really a better long-range weapon in the entire game.

  • Warzone expert outlines “absurd” Vanguard sniper to dominate Caldera’s final weeks – Dexerto

Warzone expert outlines “absurd” Vanguard sniper to dominate Caldera’s final weeks ActivisionWarzone expert IceManIsaac has outlined an “absurd” Vanguard sniper, claiming the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle is the perfect long range weapon to dominate Caldera’s final weeks. The first Warzone is rapidly approaching the end of its life-cycle, with Warzone 2 now slated to release in mid-November and fan excitement growing rapidly as a result. However, players are still as eager as ever to work out the best weapons and builds to take into Caldera’s closing weeks. While the battle royale’s sniper rifles have been in an awkward spot since the Kar98k and Swiss K31 were nerfed a few seasons ago, players have found viable alternatives in the 3-Line Rifle and slow-but-powerful HDR. According to expert IceManIsaac though, there’s one sniper that players are sleeping on despite its “absurd” potential in Season 5 Reloaded. IceManIsaac claims Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle is “broken” in Warzone In an October 4 YouTube video, the content creator outlined the Razor Paw variant of the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle as “absurd” in Caldera’s closing weeks. It retains the one-shot headshot capabilities that were taken off some sniper rifles a few seasons ago and boasts a faster fire-rate, larger magazine and more favorable handling. “You have a ten round semi-automatic, one-shot headshot [weapon],” he said. “This thing is absurd. I’m glad more people aren’t rocking this… it’s one of the most out of balance snipers we’ve ever had.” He revealed his go-to loadout for Season 5 Reloaded, utilizing all ten attachments Vanguard weapons can equip: Muzzle: Mercury Silencer – Barrel: 420mm Empress – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Reinforced Stock – Perk: Discard – Perk 2: On-Hand – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Magazine: 13mm AM 10 Round Mags – Ammunition: FMJ Rounds – Underbarrel: Bipod – Timestamp: 4:15 All players will need once they’ve got their Gorenko built correctly is a close range weapon to complement the Vanguard sniper. Currently, there’s no better option than the Armaguerra 43, which will give you the upper-hand against any nearby enemy. With those two weapons at the ready, players will be perfectly equipped to dominate Warzone up to the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

  • JGOD reveals best “long-range meta” weapon to dominate in Warzone Season 3 – Dexerto

JGOD reveals best “long-range meta” weapon to dominate in Warzone Season 3 Treyarch/Activision/JGODWarzone expert JGOD has revealed the best “long-range meta” weapon in Warzone Season 3 after the huge May 4 balance patch. Whether you’re on Caldera or Rebirth Island, having a strong long-range weapon is essential if you want to consistently pick up victories. However, with the May 4 balance patch introducing buffs & nerfs to countless guns in the Warzone arsenal, it can be difficult to identify which AR, SMG, or LMG is the best for beaming down enemies from afar. While you could spend some time experimenting in matches and testing out every single option, it’s sometimes better to let an expert do the thinking for you. Luckily, Warzone guru JGOD has outlined exactly which “long-range meta” weapon you should be using in Season 3 to dominate your foes. JGOD’s STG44 Warzone loadout Attachments Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: VDD 34S Weighted – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 62 Gorenko 50 Round Mag – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Proficiency: Focus – Kit: Fully Loaded – Perks Double Time – Overkill – Amped – Equipment Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor – Lethal: Semtex – While JGOD outlined an array of potential weapon choices in his video, he specifically announced one loadout as the best option for the “meta slaves” and that was for the STG44. This powerful AR received a major buff in the May 4 patch, skyrocketing its popularity in the community and making it one of the most used guns in the game overnight. With the MX Silencer, VDD 760mm 05B, and G16 2.5x optic, JGOD’s build is specifically designed for beaming down enemies at long range with pinpoint accuracy. Paired with the M1941 Hand Stop and Polymer Grip, the gun has minimal recoil and is capable of eliminating opponents in an instant if you land your shots. Keep in mind that it’s worth using Overkill in this loadout so you can run a close-quarter SMG to take down any foes that attempt to push your position. We recommend the Owen Gun or the MP40, as both options are extremely popular in the current meta and boast unbelievably quick TTKs. Finally, make sure to adjust any attachments that don’t fit your style of play – class setups all come down to preference, so it’s important you cater the build to you.

  • Warzone expert JGOD explains why Bizon is “top tier” SMG loadout – Dexerto

Warzone expert JGOD explains why Bizon is “top tier” SMG loadout JGOD/ActivisionWarzone guru JGOD has got a PP19 Bizon loadout that is pretty viable, especially on Rebirth Island, even if it does just fall short of being a meta pick following its recent buff. With Call of Duty: Warzone encompassing three different games at this point, the battle royale’s developers are constantly tweaking weapons and items to shake up the meta. Following recent updates, weapons like the Jak-12 shotgun, Mac-10, and the Sten have all been given a bit of love by Warzone players as they’ve experimented with the changes. On April 13, Raven Software dropped an update to address a few problems with vehicles in Warzone, and also gave Modern Warfare’s Bizon a bit of buff by fixing an issue with its damage output. Now, the SMG is on the fringes of the meta and there are a few interesting loadouts for it. One comes from JGOD, who noted that if the Bizon had a Recoil Booster as an attachment like the Vanguard weapons, it would absolutely be part of the meta right now but instead, it’s just in the “top tier” of viability thanks to it’s headshot damage output. “I think it is still very viable, super easy to use, noob-friendly because of the recoil – it’s super easy to use. You’ve just got to go ahead and pick what is going to make the most sense,” the YouTuber said about changing up the attachments. He noted that because of the Bizon’s base magazine size, it doesn’t really need an attachment there. Instead, he picked the 8.7′ Polygonal barrel to increase damage range without sacrificing speed all that much. Additionally, the build uses No Stock and Sleight of Hand to make things a little quicker as well. JGOD’s best Bizon loadout for Warzone Barrel: 8.7′ Polygonal – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex – Stock: No Stock – Perk: Sleight of Hand – As the YouTuber notes, the SMG has been “trash” for so long that its pick rate is still in the dirt. As per WZRanked stats, it sits as the 77th most-used gun in the game and has yet to climb. With its damage issue being course-corrected following the buff, it may see an uptick before long, so why not become an early adopter before everyone else jumps on it.

  • Warzone expert JGOD explains most important tip to improve aim on controller – Dexerto

Warzone expert JGOD explains most important tip to improve aim on controller Activision / JGOD / SonyRegardless of which weapon you’re running in Warzone, having a good aim is essential if you want constantly score big kills and claim the victory. Warzone expert JGOD has explained how to improve your aim drastically while playing on console. For all the talk of the best loadouts or buffs and nerfs, the fact is that it’s almost impossible to win a match on Warzone if you’re aim isn’t up to scratch. Warzone players on console have always felt like they’re at a disadvantage compared to PC players in this area. The accuracy of a mouse and keyboard as well as the lack of an FOV slider means that players on Xbox and PlayStation can often feel like they’re fighting a losing battle. Luckily, Warzone expert JGOD has broken down the things the simple things that players often get wrong when aiming on console. Warzone console players are locked at an 80 FOV, far less than the 120 available on PC, meaning the Xbox and PlayStation users are naturally more zoomed in. This means console fans are subject to more visual recoil, making shooting in a straight line more of a challenge. In his May 9 video, JGOD outlined an easy way for console players to make their aim more accurate, especially at long-range. He gave us a detailed explanation of each one, then demonstrated each tip in action. JGOD explains how to improve aim in Warzone Many controller players will naturally use the right stick to adjust their aim during combat, as this feels like the most natural way to do things. However, JGOD explained that it’s easy to “over adjust” when aiming this way, so he recommended using the left stick to aim. By using the movement stick to strafe while firing, he felt it was far simpler to make micro-adjustments to your aim to keep the sights locked on the target. This is because moving the right stick slightly shifts the aim drastically in any direction, while the left stick offers more precise movement. Meanwhile, he advised that players use the right stick to “find the zero,” a point where recoil all but disappears while firing. This is done by pulling slightly down on the right analog stick while firing on a fixed position. By combing these two tips, JGOD explained that players’ aim will be barely moving, even in long-range firefights. In fact, he demonstrated that big movements from the right stick should be used when snapping onto a new target, and then players should go back back to finding that zero recoil sweet spot. This technique is extremely effective when you factor in the aim assist that controller players benefit from. Strafing to aim offers more rotational aim assist anywhere up to 200m, so the assist will actually be stronger and easier to stay locked into. So, the next time you drop into Caldera or Rebirth Island, be sure to take JGOD’s advice on board. With a little practice and our recommended controller settings, you’ll be hitting every shot in no time.

  • Warzone expert IceManIsaac reveals the “easiest” weapon to use in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone expert IceManIsaac reveals the “easiest” weapon to use in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone Season 4 is chocked full of different weapons for players to experiment with, and it can be tough to find the right one for you. If you’re just dropping back into Caldera, or experiencing a dip in form, you’ll want to go with the most straightforward to use, and Warzone expert IceManIsaac has found just the gun. There are more weapons than ever to choose from in Warzone Season 4, and finding the perfect combination of loadouts is no easy task. The likes of the NZ-41 and STG-44 have dominated the meta, while the HDR remains the go-to Sniper Rifle. Most of the game’s guns have unique pros and cons that players need to wrap their heads around in order to get the best out of them, but some are purposely built to be simple to get to grips with. Warzone expert IceManIsaac believes he’s found the Vanguard Assault Rifle that is the easiest weapon to use in Season 4, perfect for beginners and pros alike. IceManIsaac recently explained why the KG M40 is the easiest rifle to use in Warzone right now. The Vanguard Assault Rifle has slowly climbed into the meta recently after receiving a healthy buff in the Season 4 update. It got a boost in minimum damage and a recoil reduction, meaning the Season 2 AR now has an “insane time to kill, same as the NZ, and significantly less recoil.” Isaac compared the KG M40 directly to the NZ-41. He found that the two had an almost identical TTK in terms of numbers, but the KG came out on top thanks to superior bullet velocity and fire rate. If this sounds like a build you’re interested in running, we’ve listed IceManIsaac’s KG M40 loadout below. IceManIsaac’s easy-to-use KG M40 Warzone loadout Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Reisdorf 720mm Shrouded – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 6-6x – Stock: VDD 22G Padded – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Grooved Grip – Proficiency: Tight Grip – Kit: Fully Loaded – Using this setup, the KG M40 has around “a third” of the recoil, while also having 10 extra bullets per mag compared to the meta NZ-41 build. This makes it far easier to beam enemies who might be head-glitching in a window or taking cover behind rocks. With so few drawbacks, this loadout becomes the perfect option for new players or even those who are going through a sticky spell and want to score some easy kills. It’s also proving popular among professionals, with Isaac calling it one of his favorite weapons to use in Warzone, and even hinting it could become his choice of tournament gun. So, the next time you’re heading into Caldera, consider leaving the NZ-41 or STG behind in favor of this KG M40 build. It could emerge as a new favorite in the run-up to Season 4 Reloaded.

  • Warzone expert highlights most underrated guns that will be meta in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone expert highlights most underrated guns that will be meta in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has highlighted an underused weapon that should get some love in Season 4 now that the TTK changes and weapon balancing have set in. With the start of Warzone Season 4, the devs have made some pretty big changes to the Call of Duty battle royale. There is a new map in the form of Vondel – it’s bigger than Ashika Island but smaller than Al-Mazrah – and there have also been health changes. On top of that, the dominant Cronen Squall has been nerfed, which has given players the chance to make some changes in the meta. The assault rifle was the only top-tier weapon that changed in a meaningful way, however, with shotguns getting the biggest buffs of the rest. As a result of the changes, players have been searching for what could be the next best thing. JGOD has already recommended the HCR, however, WhosImmortal has a slightly different idea. RAAL & Sakin LMGs highlighted as Warzone’s next meta weapons Following the update, the Warzone stats guru was making some changes to his weapon tier list, dropping the Squall from being a go-to gun to just a competitive choice. In highlighting some alternatives, WhosImmortal went to the RAAL and Sakin LMGs, praising their TTK against the new health changes, even if they are let down by reload and movement speed. “Each of these to me are now major standouts. I don’t want to say they are absolute meta because they are LMGs and their reload, movement speed, and ADS speeds sucks, but if we’re focusing on strictly TTK, these are two of your best choices now,” he said. Timestamp of 6:35 The RAAL is especially solid, as the YouTuber noted it has “arguably” the best TTK is the battle royale as a whole. Though, when it comes to pick rate, it sits as around the 21st most-used gun. Both LMGs have had their time in the spotlight previously, so players should have all the best attachments for them if they want to make the switch back.

  • Warzone expert highlights forgotten Vanguard SMG that can still dominate – Dexerto

Warzone expert highlights forgotten Vanguard SMG that can still dominate ActivisionIf you’re looking to shake up your Warzone loadouts then you might want to consider going back to one of Vanguard’s classic SMGs – the Owen Gun. Even though we’re entering the final stretch for Warzone before Warzone 2 takes over the gaming landscape, there are still plenty of matches to be won and glory to be claimed. When it comes to the meta, there are a handful of weapons that are viable at the minute, and they all have something in common – they’re from Call of Duty: Vanguard. The same is also true for the SMG category specifically, as the likes of the PPSH, H4 Blixen, and MP-40 still reign supreme. Though, if you’re a little bored of those and want to use something else, you might want to consider re-visiting the Owen Gun as it’s still fairly handy in games. Best Owen Gun loadout in Warzone Season 5 The abandoned SMG was highlighted by WhosImmortal in his September 19 video, as the Warzone YouTuber shone a spotlight on the best SMGs in the battle royale currently. While the Owen Gun isn’t going to dethrone the PPSH or Armaguerra, it’s still very competitive. “Honestly, I feel like the Owen Gun can probably stay in the top meta,” he said. “Yes, I said that I wouldn’t necessarily always choose it over one of these other weapons like the PPSH or the Armaguerra, but it does have that really good TTK still. I think that one is still owed a place in the top meta.” What helps the Owen is the fact that the meta build hasn’t changed at all over time. It’s still the same one that everyone used to run when it was one of the go-to weapons on Caldera and Rebirth Island. So, you’ll have the attachments you need if you choose to go back to it. The SMG certainly falls into that category of forgotten weapons, seeing as its pick rate has slid all the way down to around 0.23, as per WZRanked stats. It was once one of the dominant SMGs in the game and it would hardly lose gunfights, despite its awkward look on-screen. Though, it can still propel you to victory.

  • Warzone expert exposes pay to win weapon optic – Dexerto

Warzone expert exposes pay to win weapon optic ActivisionWarzone guru TrueGameData unearthed the blue dot reticle in Warzone 2, but a paywall holds player back from getting the fan-favorite optic. Activision has caught flack for its handling of microtransactions during Modern Warfare 2. Season 3 introduced ‘pay-to-win’ DMZ bundles, awarding players free UAVS, bonus perks, and more just for purchasing an operator bundle. The decision infuriated community members, and some even claimed it would doom the iconic FPS franchise as a whole. The devs wouldn’t remove the bundles entirely but slightly nerfed one of the bundles after a wave of backlash. TrueGameData reignited pay-to-win debates again as the YouTuber unearthed the blue dot reticle. How to get the blue dot reticle in Warzone Warzone 2 controversially removed the option for players to customize reticles on their weapon optics. This design choice greatly reduced the number of optics players are willing to use. TrueGameData explained why being unable to edit reticles hurt holographic scopes in Warzone 2. “The different holographic optics in Warzone 2 all have really bad reticles. They all have really obstructive reticles and bounce all over the place.” The Good’Ol Days weapon blueprint shows it has the regular holographic reticle in the Gunsmith. However, in-game, the optic has a blue dot reticle. The Good ‘Ol Days weapon blueprint is included in the Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio, which costs 1800 COD points. Players can use the blueprint optic on any weapon in the game, essentially restricting the blue dot to only those willing to pull out their wallet. TrueGameData argued that the optic is a strong contender for the best in Warzone. “I think it is a nice middle ground between the Shlager 3.4x, the VLK 4.0x, and the red dot. You get a little more zoom than the red dot, but also you get the clean reticle, and it’s a nice optic.” TrueGameData concluded that purchasing the bundle is worth it if you are a really hardcore player. For more, check out the rest of our meta Season 4 loadouts, and try throwing on the blue dot reticle.

  • Warzone expert debunks Serpentine perk “overpowered” rumors – Dexerto

Warzone expert debunks Serpentine perk “overpowered” rumors ActivisionWarzone Season 3 Reloaded introduced the Perk Serpentine and it looked as though it may become overpowered quite quickly — but JGOD has discovered that it won’t be as powerful as people originally thought. Serpentine is a Perk that reduces incoming damage from bullets, explosives, and fire by 20%. The Perk rewards aggressive players who want to push on players that are camping. On paper, Serpentine had the potential of taking over as the most used Perk One option over Cold Blooded and Double time, but further inspection shows that Serpentine may not be as strong as what we see on the surface. Is Warzone’s Serpentine Perk overpowered? Warzone content creator JGOD tweeted the findings made by New York Subliners content creator Mavriq on May 26. The content creator showed a clip from content creator DouisRaw’s stream and the Serpentine Perk only kicked in once all of his armor was gone. Saw @MavriqGG mention that serpentine only applied to base health, so I looked a little closer and it looks like that is how it works. In this Clip from @DougisRaw stream you can see that he gets white plate hitmarkers, then blue, then serpentine, then a down. Not strong imo pic.twitter.com/UTM7Qytr6j — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) May 26, 2022 Essentially, Serpentine will be reliable for getting out of a pinch, but it won’t make you a bullet sponge when charging at an enemy. In the clip, it only took a few more shots to down someone even if they have Serpentine equipped. The streamer added in a different tweet that Serpentine “might be a stronger perk with modes of high health like Iron Trials.” JGOD does not believe that Serpentine is that strong. However, it may still be worth trying out for yourself by picking it up as ground loot in Warzone. Serpentine may be a fun addition to change the pace of some gunfights, but don’t expect it to be the reason you clutch a victory.

  • Warzone expert creates “zero recoil” RPK loadout in Warzone 2 – Dexerto

Warzone expert creates “zero recoil” RPK loadout in Warzone 2 YouTube: IceManIsaacPlayers widely regard the RPK as one of Warzone 2’s best weapons, but there are different ways to customize the powerful LMG. Warzone guru IceManIsaac opted to craft a “zero recoil” RPK. The jury is still out for determining Warzone 2’s meta. However, players tend to lean towards using weapons with a fast TTK, large magazine size, and powerful damage output. We ranked the RPK second in our meta weapon list because of the LMG’s devastating TTK, manageable recoil, and shockingly fast reload speed. Al Mazrah’s desert landscape favors long-range combat, and the RPK is the cream of the crop because of its ability to beam enemies at distance. IceManIssac explained why the RPK checks all of the boxes for pro players and revealed a “zero recoil” loadout everyone should add to their arsenal. IceManIsaac explains why Warzone 2 players should use the RPK In his latest YouTube video, IceManIsaac claimed the RPK “is the best gun inside of Warzone.” “Not only is the time to kill impressive, but our ability to beam people at long ranges makes this the absolute easiest gun to use and the most consistent long-range TTK in the books, and it is why all the pros are rocking it.” Here is IceManIsaac’s RPK loadout, including weapon tuning for each attachment. Barrel: TAC 597 Barrel (+.24 Recoil Steadiness and +.22 Damage Range) – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 (-.21 Aim Down Sight Speed and +.30 Aiming Idle Stability) – Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity (+.36 Damage Range and +2.03 Bullet Velocity) – Laser: FSS OLE-V-Laser – Optic: Aim OP-V4 (-3.0 Aim Down Sight Speed and -1.60 Far) – Selecting an optic comes down to personal preference, but Modern Warfare 2 weapons suffer from extreme visual recoil, which makes a reticle deviate from the center of the screen at longer ranges. “The Aim OP-V4 scope is so clutch. It is the least visual recoil out of the scopes in the game right now, and so many pros are rocking it for that reason.” If you are a fan of LMGs in Warzone 2, make sure to check out our LMG tier list.

  • Warzone expert claims underused Vanguard AR is “overpowered” after buffs – Dexerto

Warzone expert claims underused Vanguard AR is “overpowered” after buffs ActivisionNot yet settled on a new go-to assault rifle in Warzone following all the recent buffs and nerfs? Well, you might want to give Vanguard’s NZ-41 a chance as it is apparently a little “overpowered” right now. Following on from the massive weapon changes dished out in the Season 3 update, Raven Software once again shook things up in Warzone with the Season 3 Reloaded patch on May 25. The mid-season update brought in plenty of weapon tweaks, as well as changes to the battle royale’s Time-To-Kill (TTK), making the meta shift yet again. Like the original Season 3 patch, the Season 3 Reloaded update has helped make a handful of Vanguard weapons incredibly more viable versus their Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War counterparts. That includes the NZ-41, which could become part of the meta before long. Warzone guru Metaphor highlighted the assault rifle in his May 25 video, claiming that the recent changes have made the NZ-41 a tad “overpowered,” especially as it was buffed itself and the weapon’s recoil made a little more forgiving. The YouTuber’s build for the NZ-41 does move away from some of the previously more popular attachments with the likes of the Carver Foregrip, G16 2.5x optic, and Mercury Silencer missing out. It does, though, keep the popular Orbweaver combo of the 360mm BC barrel and E Pack stock, as well as the dominant 8mm Klauser 40 Round Magazines to really fry through enemies. Best NZ-41 loadout in Warzone Season 3 Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Orbweaver 360mm BC – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Stock: Orbweaver E Pack – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scop 3-6x – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 40 Round Mags – Ammuntion: Lengthened – Perk: Brace – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – The Vanguard assault rifle has been a part of the meta previously, mainly when Caldera first launched, but it has slipped away in recent months to the point where it has a 0.52 pick rate on WZRanked. With the devs giving it some shine in the update, that number will likely rise before long, but it remains to be seen if the NZ-41 will be able to displace the likes of the STG.

  • Warzone expert claims slept-on AR is “best” pick in Season 4 – Dexerto

Warzone expert claims slept-on AR is “best” pick in Season 4 ActivisionIf you’re looking for a new assault rifle to use in Warzone Season 4, well, you might want to consider an old favorite that has been underused for a while. With the start of Season 4, the Warzone 2 devs decided to make a few big changes to the battle royale. They’ve introduced a new map in the form of Vondel, which is smaller than Al-Mazrah but bigger than Ashika Island. The overall TTK of the game was increased too thanks to an increase in player health. That wasn’t all, either. The devs also put a few of the battle royale’s weapons under the microscope as well, including the dominant Cronen Squall. The battle rifle had its damage increased but that also came with the bullets to kill number also going up – making it a slower killer. Despite that change, the Squall has remained the go-to weapon for many players, but its popularity has dropped off a touch. As a result, some are looking for different things to use, and there is one AR that’s apparently better than the rest, despite no one really using it. Best Kastov 762 loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4 That’s at least according to Metaphor, as the Warzone 2 guru highlighted the Kastov 762 in his June 19 video, calling it the “best AR” for Season 4. “A lot of people are sleeping on the AK given the fact they did increase the health by 50,” he said. “This gun moves up a lot (in tier lists) just because it does so much freaking damage.” He runs a pretty standard build too, with the KAS-10 584mm barrel getting some use alongside the SZ Recharge sight and the Demo-X2 Grip. That’s all designed to keep shots as straight as possible so more damage is dealt out, playing to the gun’s strengths. Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5 – Barrel: KAS-10 584mm barrel – Optic: SZ Recharge-DX – Stock: KSTV-RPK Factory – Grip: Demo-X2 Grip – As noted, the 762 is going slightly under the radar in the new season with a 1.1% pick rate according to WZRanked stats. That should tick up a bit over time as players increasingly ditch the Cronen Squall, but it remains to be seen just how much it’ll increase.

  • Warzone expert claims Cold War AR dominates following Season 4 Reloaded buff – Dexerto

Warzone expert claims Cold War AR dominates following Season 4 Reloaded buff ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has claimed that Black Ops Cold War’s Krig 6 AR is dominant in Season 4 Reloaded, as buffs and nerfs are felt in the meta. Warzone Season 4 Reloaded dropped on July 28, resembling the biggest shake-up of the battle royale’s meta since Season 4 itself came some weeks ago. Among other changes, the patch rebalanced Warzone’s huge weapon pool, bringing long-awaited nerfs to the overpowered NZ-41 and buffs to a host of less-favorable guns. One of the weapons strengthened was the Krig 6, the Black Ops Cold War AR that has featured prominently in past seasons but, in Season 4, has become something of a forgotten relic. The weapon changes saw its mid-damage range increased from 25m to 26m, while its headshot damage multiplier was also upped from 1.5x to 1.55x. WhosImmortal pinpoints Krig 6 as new “top rifle” in Warzone In a July 29 video, Warzone expert WhosImmortal highlighted the newly buffed AR as one of the best weapons in the game thanks to its faster TTK. “We saw it got a surprise buff with Season 4 Reloaded,” he said, “and it’s low recoil and solid damage over range I think brings it back in line with being one of the top rifles in the game and I love it.” Now that its headshot multiplier has been improved, confident players should also aim for upper-body when using the Krig. Its recoil is fairly manageable and the improved damage to enemy skulls means they’re well worth going for to further reduce TTK. WhosImmortal’s recommended loadout will certainly ensure you’re as prepped as you can be for medium to longer ranges: Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 15″ CMV Mil-Spec – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: STANAG 60 Round – With the Krig 6 in your primary slot, all you’ll need is a solid close-range weapon to ensure you’re covered when running and gunning. For that, WhosImmortal recommended the Type 100. If that doesn’t take your fancy though, there’s equal strength in the Marco 5 or H4 Blixen.

  • Warzone expert brings OP Kar98k back to Urzikstan – Dexerto

Warzone expert brings OP Kar98k back to Urzikstan ActivisionThis Warzone loadout looks the perfect fit to bring back the iconic Kar98 meta that OG Verdansk players know and love, and it might be one of the best snipers in the game. The Kar98k is one of the most popular weapons in Call of Duty history, existing across multiple titles as one of the leading sniper rifles. Warzone is no different, and for some time the rifle absolutely tore opponents to shreds across Verdansk, a time players still pine for even now. So with the old resurgence maps Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island returning to Warzone soon, now may be the perfect time to replicate some of the meta weapons that dominated in their time. Bringing Kar98k back to Warzone Metaphor, a Warzone expert that is always one step ahead of the meta, has created this FJX Imperium loadout that looks like a replica of the old Kar98k that players know and love: Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L – Underbarrel: Field-Wrapped Handle – Ammunition: .408 Explosive – Laser: VLK LZR 7mw – Rear Grip: Skull-40 – Of course, unless the actual Kar98k returns in its original state, all we can do for now is find ways to replicate the pace, power, and advantages the Kar used to offer. This, though, is probably the closest you’re going to get. It has good mobility and a very fast ADS time, allowing you to be aggressive with your sniping, and the explosive rounds are where the damage is really done with this one. It might struggle slightly over longer distances, meaning you’ll have to lead your shots, but the Kar98 was never typically a gun used for sitting atop a building and sniping over long distances, so it should still feel fairly familiar. If this gun doesn’t quite do it for you, we’ve listed some of the best one-shot sniper loadouts in Warzone to make your life easier!

  • Warzone expert brings back DMR meta as MW2 rifle has “absurd” TTK – Dexerto

Warzone expert brings back DMR meta as MW2 rifle has “absurd” TTK ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s most popular rifle is threatening to rival the DMR meta in Warzone as it has an “absurd” TTK and can finish enemies in two shots. It’s been almost four years since Warzone first launched as a part of the Modern Warfare (2019) reboot, and the battle royale has gone through it’s fair share of memorable metas. A majority of these metas have been memorable for all the wrong reasons – giving us an overpowered gun that annoys everyone who happens to be on the wrong end of it. The most iconic of which, given it still sparks cold sweats every time it is talked about, is the DMR meta. If you missed out on the original wave, count yourself lucky for starters, but it has threatened to make a return a times. A number of battle rifles from MW2 and MW3 have been used in experiments to create a DMR-lite, but there is one that has risen above them all. Best Tempus Torrent (DMR) loadout for Warzone The gun in question would be the Tempus Torrent from Modern Warfare 2, as Warzone expert Oll_MS highlighted a loadout with “a potential 2 shot” kill ability, as well as “zero” gun kick. “I’m so surprised how broken it actually is! TTK is ABSURD!” the content creator said, also showing off some of the kills he’d manage to pull off with the new Torrent build. That build includes the popular JAK BFB muzzle, Corio Eagleseye 2.5x optic, as well as using the 50-round magazine, and PSO Heavy stock. The 24’ Outreach 4 barrel is also thrown for good measure, helping the rifle achieve that “zero” gun kick. Muzzle: JAK BFB – Barrel: 24’ Outreach 4 – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Magazine: 50-round mag – Stock: PSO Heavy – Oll_MS noted that the build is especially “great” for Resurgence, and that it achieves a two-shot kill with double headshots. However, it’s a three-shot kill if you hit one headshot and two body shots. The loadout has been cropping up in Ranked a fair bit too, but don’t be shocked to see it taking over all modes before long.

  • Warzone expert argues FJX Intervention could be a “missed opportunity” in MW3 – Dexerto

Warzone expert argues FJX Intervention could be a “missed opportunity” in MW3 ActivisionAll Modern Warfare 2 weapons carry over to MW3, but Warzone expert Metaphor claimed it will be a waste if the FJX Imperium doesn’t see a buff. Snipers still hold an important place in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone’s meta, but not to the extent of other weapons. It also doesn’t help that only two rifles stand out in the eyes of community members. According to WZ Ranked, the Signal 50 and MCPR rank within the 10 most popular weapons. Unfortunately, no other sniper ranks within the top 25 of pick rate rankings. Infinity Ward introduced the Carrack .300 to compete, but even after a nerf to the Signal 50, the latest rifle failed to usurp the old tried and true. To rub more salt in the wound, the Intervention was a fan-favorite weapon in MW2 (2009). Infinity Ward brought back the iconic sniper rifle in Season in the form of the FJX Imperium, but it immediately faded into irrelevancy. Metaphor explained why the forgotten sniper rifle needs to fixed for MW3. Metaphor pleads for FJX Imperium buff before MW3 It has been confirmed that all 16 classic Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps will be playable in Modern Warfare 3 at launch. As part of the Carry Forward program, weapon progression, all weapons, operator skins, and weapon blueprints carry over to the next COD series entry. Metaphor argued that it would be a shame if one of the most iconic weapons from the original game didn’t have the same impact on its former stomping grounds. “I hope we get a better version of the Intervention for MW3. I think it would be a missed opportunity.” The Youtuber conceded: “Or at least I hope they do some rebalancing on some of these MW2 guns, because I think they are a little bit slow.” After seeing faster-paced gameplay in MW3, Metaphor fears several MW2 will fall out of favor once the new game comes out. If you are curious about what new weapons could come in the future, make sure to check out the full leaked MW3 weapon list.

  • Warzone exec wants Grau to return as meta “king” before Warzone 2 – Dexerto

Warzone exec wants Grau to return as meta “king” before Warzone 2 Activision / PixabayCall of Duty: Warzone’s Grau has some fans in high places as CoD’s Creative Director is calling for the classic gun to become “king” of the meta once again. In a tweet, he revealed that he wants the weapon to reign supreme one last time before Warzone 2. Anyone who played Warzone in its early seasons will remember the infamous Grau 5.56. With arguably the cleanest iron sights in the game’s history, as well as pinpoint accuracy, the Modern Warfare gun dominated Verdansk for months. Ultimately, the Grau was nerfed and fell behind other ARs in usage rate. As time passed, options like the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX, and, eventually, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard weapons took over. With Warzone 2 reportedly releasing in the holiday season of 2022, some fans have become nostalgic for the title’s early days. One such player is CoD Creative Director Ted Timmins, who is vowing to return the beloved Grau to its rightful throne. Warzone exec promises return of Grau meta GRAU. One day I’ll convince the team to make it the king again for one last ride. The OG laser. — Ted Timmins (@JustTeddii) March 7, 2022 Responding to a tweet that tugged at player nostalgia and asked about players’ favorite all-time metas, Timmins did not mince words. In capslock, he answered “GRAU,” before revealing his intentions. Calling it “the OG laser,” Timmins explained his plan for a return to supremacy: “One day I’ll convince the team to make it the king again for one last ride.” This vow instantly gave way to dozens of replies supporting the idea. One of the title’s biggest streamers, FaZe Swagg, was as enthusiastic about the idea as can be – hitting Timmins with an impassioned “PLEASE.” While Warzone players certainly enjoy newer weapons and content, nostalgia is ever-present. This is evident in fan despair over “useless,” formerly meta C4s and excitement over Verdansk’s return – albeit on mobile devices. Before the Pacific map launched, we dove into why the MW FN SCAR deserved a buff – so that the classic weapon could get its chance to be meta. While that never came to be, the Grau seems to have supporters with more pull. Fans will surely be eager to see if Timmins is able to convince his team and buff the “OG laser” back into relevance.

  • Warzone enables 120fps on Xbox Series X, but not on PS5 – Dexerto

Warzone enables 120fps on Xbox Series X, but not on PS5 Call of Duty / XboxInfinity Ward discreetly enabled an option for Call of Duty Warzone to run up to 120 frames per second on the new Xbox Series X. The change is currently listed as a feature on the Microsoft Store, together with support for HDR10 and “4K UltraHD.” These changes were present in the last patch notes released on the 9th of November and saw no social media announcement. Modern Warfare’s store page now also lists 120fps support as a feature, meaning there is a chance that the standard multiplayer modes will also be upgraded in the future. The increase of the FPS cap has only been introduced on the new Microsoft console, with the PlayStation 5 version still being limited to 60fps. Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry ran some tests on Warzone, confirming the increase in frames per second and examining the stability of the new framerate on an Xbox Series X. The results showed that Warzone, while capable of hitting a maximum of 120fps, will maintain an average framerate of anywhere between 100 and 120. Still, the game remains currently listed on the store as an Xbox One title. Meanwhile, the community has been taken by surprise by this improvement and has welcomed it with open arms on social media platforms, suggesting overwhelmingly positive feedback. Infinity Ward’s decision to introduce the change on only one of the next-gen consoles has created some confusion. Activision is currently partnering with Sony, providing early access to expansions and digital content to PlayStation players. With this change, Infinity Ward has essentially introduced a gap between PS5 and Xbox users due to the cross-play future of the game mode. Currently, Warzone on PS5 runs on the PS4 backward compatibility version and is still limited to 60 frames per second. Unfortunately, there has been no announcement from Activision or Infinity Ward about the possibility of enabling 120fps on Sony consoles, with some speculating that the upgrade is being held in order to prevent all BOCW players from immediately switching to Warzone.

  • Warzone EM2 loadout is now meta as “glitched” optic reduces recoil – Dexerto

Warzone EM2 loadout is now meta as “glitched” optic reduces recoil ActivisionThe EM2 assault rifle is quickly meta in Warzone as players have started to rock one loadout in particular thanks to a supposedly “glitched” optic attachment. Warzone’s meta has continually shifted over the last months with different SMGs and LMGs taking over, before giving way to some of Black Ops Cold War’s assault rifles. Currently, the KAR98 is the top dog, and has been for quite some time, but you can hardly run around Verdansk and Rebirth Island with just a sniper rifle. You need something that can back it up. For some players, the answer in the past has been the EM2. The powerful assault rifle was loved by some Warzone pros prior to Season 6, and its popularity has only increased since the update hit the servers. According to stats from WZRanked, the EM2 had previously been sat outside of the top 10 for quite some time, but in the second half of October, it’s risen up the ranks – jumping all the way up to fifth overall. Why is that, you ask? Well, as both Swagg and TrueGameData have highlighted, it’s because of the lack of idle sway when you attach the Axial Arms 3x optic. Aim down sight and you’re pretty much locked on to your target, your shots will hardly move. Swagg goes as far as to call it a “glitched attachment,” but we can’t anything for certain. The sight only makes up one component of the weapon’s current meta loadout, however, which has a 45% pick rate as per WZRanked. The next closest EM2 class clocks with in a pick rate under 20%, so the class of choice stands out above the rest. EM2 meta Warzone loadout with “glitched” optic Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 25.8 Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: 40 round mag – As noted, the popularity of the EM2 has only continued to grow over the last few weeks, and might even raise to fourth overall before you know it. It is only a few percentage points behind the AK-47. If it manages to topple the iconic Call of Duty weapon, it would become Warzone’s most popular assault rifle but it’s got a long way to go before it joins the OTS 9, Swiss K31, and KAR98 in the top three.

  • Warzone easter egg reveals new details about locked bunkers on the map – Dexerto

Warzone easter egg reveals new details about locked bunkers on the map Infinity Ward / YouTube – S0urThe locked bunkers on the Verdansk map in Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale have a lot of players intrigued, and one YouTuber has found a way to glean new details about these mysterious rooms. Anyone who’s done even a little exploring in Warzone has likely come across at least one of the numerous tightly locked bunkers located throughout the vast setting known as Verdansk. However, what sets these apart from other inaccessible areas is the fact that each one comes with a keypad that players can interact with, although no one’s found the passcode to enter one yet. While a lot of players have been endlessly trying to find a way to breach the doors, YouTuber ‘S0ur’ decided to go another route and examined the Tac Map that Activision have on their website. Turns out, this Tac Map, which is essentially a guide to the various locations, contains 11 “Classified” areas with redacted names and descriptions, and a quick comparison to the in-game layout reveals them to be those very same bunkers. Read More: Warzone easter eggs & secret locations – In fact, the YouTuber went as far as to do a scan of the pages’ inspect elements, which, lo and behold, revealed that each one had their own loot stats. In fact, the loot bar for these locations is listed at 120%, meaning they have higher tier loot than any other area. “Most interestingly, the loot bar is at 120%, and every 20% is a tier, so that represents tier six loot,” he explained. “That bar is off the charts. Tier five would have a line at the end.” He then went on to show how each of the bunkers are actually located in their own grid on the map, even the ones that are bunched together tightly. “I noticed every bunker is in its own square,” he said. “Most of them are far apart so they obviously are, but in the case of seven/eight and two/three, which are clustered very close together, it seems on purpose that, on both cases, they are divided on separate coordinate boxes.” The rest of the video focused on S0ur showing the many ways he and his teammates tried to figure out how to open the locked bunker doors, all of which proved to be unsuccessful. He concluded that random sequences and trials won’t get those areas open, instead, it’ll have to be a direct way using a code that Infinity Ward will presumably release at some point in the near future. So, what does this all mean? Well, everyone already had a strong suspicion that these locked bunkers are more than just cosmetic additions to the map, but now we also know that they’ll more than likely carry some high-level loot, maybe even better than anywhere else on the map. Infinity Ward are likely saving that for the next wave of new content, however, and it’s not clear when players will be able to explore these hidden areas just yet.

  • Warzone duo shows just how broken flashes can be – Dexerto

Warzone duo shows just how broken flashes can be ActivisionWarzone players are constantly looking for items and weapons to get nerfed as some can be overtuned. Stun grenades have been on that list for quite some time and this duo shows why the devs may want to consider weakening these. While there are many issues that surround the streets of Verdansk like hackers or overpowered weapons, players just want to play a balanced game. One thing that has made the game extremely annoying is the use of tacticals, more specifically stuns that blind you. There are many ways to finish off a game and get a win, but a team decided to take this to the next level and really ruin their opponent’s gaming experience. Warzone players use broken flashes to kill enemy Even though you can not carry an unlimited supply of grenades in Warzone, the few you take can be extremely useful. When combined with the Restock perk players can have them almost every minute. This Reddit clip posted by ‘LordTexugo’ shows this player and their teammate abusing the power of the flash grenade. Not only do they have these as equipment but also as a launcher on their weapons. This duo was against one final player and decided to sentence them to death by flashes. These “Broken” grenades made it impossible for the solo player to do anything. You see the player get hit with over 10 of them in the span of 45 seconds. If the duo was using their weapons it would’ve been over even faster but they wanted to torment the last player and blind them for as long as possible. While they end up getting the execution for the win, this player stood no chance due to being spammed by this overpowered tactical. This has players wanting to see a nerf come through for flashes to make them less oppressive.

  • Warzone duo Biffle & SuperEvan drop 100 kills using new M16 loadout – Dexerto

Warzone duo Biffle & SuperEvan drop 100 kills using new M16 loadout Instagram, @diazbiffle / ActivisionOne of Warzone’s top tandems, Diaz Biffle and SuperEvan, have turned Season 5’s series of weapon adjustments into an opportunity — tweaking the infamous M16 loadout and dropping a dirty 100 kills. Over the past nine days, Warzone’s guns have been adjusted over two principal patches, one on September 8 and another on September 15. In both, the meta Stoner 63 and Krig 6 were nerfed. In both, the notorious M16 and AUG were buffed (with additional attachment buffs as well). Top-earning and top-ranked pros, the duo known as “SuperBiffle” returned to the M16 while looking for the new meta. While not fully positive they’ve found it, they did manage to drop triple-digit kills combined. As a wise man once said, one 50-bomb is rare in Verdansk, but two is rarer. And that should be enough proof that the new M16 class, capable of doing the improbable, is more than viable in Warzone. SuperBiffle’s Warzone M16 loadout for Season 5 At one point, the M16 (and, at another, the AUG) reigned supreme — as the gun had minimal recoil to counteract its merciless damage and range. But, banished to obscurity by massive recoil nerfs, two patches of buffs have helped the gun’s return. Here’s how Biffle constructed his: Season 5’s M16 loadout Muzzle: Agency Silencer – Barrel: 16.3” Titanium – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Magazine: 45 Rnd – The main tweaks here, compared to the gun’s heyday, are to the barrel and underbarrel. And Ev’s class was slightly different as well, with the SFOD Speedgrip instead of Field Agent Foregrip and the STANAG 60 Rnd instead of the 45 Rnd. Instead of the 15.9” Strike Team barrel popularized by pros back in February, the new loadout opts for a 16.3” Titanium — which now grants a higher fire rate and better control (while slightly sacrificing damage and mobility.) Additionally, instead of the OG class’s Bruiser Grip, both Biffle and Evan opted for option’s with better recoil control. As you can see from the video, the duo were absolutely victimizing opponents with the quick-shooting, easily controlled new M16. While not as deadly as it once was, the gun is most certainly relevant and capable of ravaging a lobby (or at least, 100 of the lobby’s 150 players). Of course, it’s only been a few days and the meta could change up at a moment’s notice. With the duo opting for different submachine guns (Biffle, the Bullfrog and Evan, the MAC-10), the secondary meta obviously remains undefined as well. The M16 (and those assorted SMGs) looked filthy here, but the true test will be if the tandem think it’s tournament-ready over the last couple weeks of September.

  • Warzone duo Biffle & SuperEvan break world record during $100K 2v2 tourney – Dexerto

Warzone duo Biffle & SuperEvan break world record during $100K 2v2 tourney Twitter, @SuperEvan__ / ActivisionStar Call of Duty: Warzone duo DiazBiffle and SuperEvan were playing in a 2v2 tournament for a chance at $100,000 when they and their opponents combined to break the Quads World Record for kills in Caldera. Warzone’s 2v2 tournaments have a simple format: Two duos enter the same lobby as a quad and see which team can rack up the most kills. The format is beloved by many, as it ensures both teams get to face the same lobby of enemies. When Biffle and SuperEvan faced off against Hisoka and Shifty during the $100K Caldera Challenge Qualifiers, the group received quite the lobby. They took advantage of that fact, with all four posting 30-plus kills en route to a Quads world record. By the end, the group had 135 kills… a ridiculous 132 more than the total of the team that came in second place. Here’s how it happened and the controversy surrounding the record. Warzone pros break Quads World Record during $100K tournament https://twitter.com/WZWorldRecord/status/1501336166834094080 While some 2v2 matches end with lower scores due to one team dying, this match was tightly contested from start to finish. With the group somehow dropping into a lobby with a 0.63 K/D lobby, far below their 5.69 team K/D (per WZStats) – they took advantage of the opportunity. In total, Evan and Biffle posted 68 kills. Their opposing duo, Hisoka and Shifty, posted 67. That cumulative effort notched a world record for the group and their run of form continued well into the tournament. The event was the second qualifier for the Caldera Challenge $100K and eventually saw Biffle and Evan taking No. 1 on the day, with Shifty and Hisoka earning No. 3. Unfortunately, the latter’s success was marred by hacking accusations. World Record nullified by Warzone cheater? Former CDL pro @Blazt accused a competitor of cheating in yesterday’s Warzone $100K Qualifiers due to this clip. It’s been hotly debated, so we’re asking the community: Sus or not? 🤔pic.twitter.com/G0RLj5ZiL4 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) March 9, 2022 During, and after, the tournament, Shifty was accused of hacking by fellow Warzone pro Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevic. He has yet to be cleared of these allegations, but he has also yet to be fully proven guilty, either. Posting world record numbers is inherently suspicious, particularly for someone who isn’t on the all-time earners list. However, if he was indeed hacking, then that simply makes Biffle and Evan’s victory even more impressive. It would add an asterisk to their record, though.

  • Warzone drops off 2022 streaming figures as Apex Legends & Fortnite boom – Dexerto

Warzone drops off 2022 streaming figures as Apex Legends & Fortnite boom Activision/Respawn/Epic GamesIn the opening months of 2022, Warzone has disappeared off of the top streaming games across Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Gaming, as rivals Fortnite and Apex Legends continue to thrive and grow. Throughout 2020 and 2021, Warzone was a mainstay among the top games for streamers, with millions tuning in to watch their favorite creators on the Call of Duty battle royale. Fast forward to the start of 2022, and things are looking bleak. Since Caldera replaced Verdansk at the tail end of 2021 and Vanguard was integrated into the game, interest has clearly diminished. In fact, Activision reported a loss of 50m monthly users in Q1 2022 from the prior year, with less interest in Warzone cited as a reason for the huge drop. Warzone officially dropped out of the top 10 in Q1 of 2022, making way for two new games as well as giving its biggest rivals a very strong foothold near the top. Read More: Ultimate Warzone event calendar – According to StreamHatchet’s Q1 2022 report, Warzone is nowhere to be seen among the top 10, with stats taken from across the three major streaming platforms; Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Gaming. Instead, Fortnite has risen from 10th to 5th, while Apex Legends has gone up from 11th to 4th. Meanwhile, strong launches from Lost Ark and Elden Ring saw them immediately fly into the top 10. While interest in the battle royale genre clearly hasn’t died, Warzone has lost its footing ahead of its rivals and will be hoping that Warzone 2 can reignite players’ and viewers’ interest and passion for the game. That said, there’s a huge chasm between the top two most-watched games and the rest of the pack. At the start of 2022, GTA V and League of Legends’ viewership each stand at over double that of Apex Legends, so it will take some doing to usurp them.

  • Warzone driver goes Mad Max by dominating Rebirth Island’s roofs & houses in cars – Dexerto

Warzone driver goes Mad Max by dominating Rebirth Island’s roofs & houses in cars ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Rebirth Island is home to many high-octane freaks of nature. And one fan of big action has put the pedal to the metal, figuring out the most obnoxious places you can drive vehicles and lay out destruction. Whether you’re a fan of , , or — as better known to OG gamers — the Twisted Metal franchise… you know cars can be serious weapons. That carries over directly into Warzone, where vehicles are notorious for their one-hit kill potential. The “Big Bertha” cargo trucks and tournament-favorite helicopters have all had their share of the lime light, but perhaps not enough attention has been given to Warzone’s other vehicles. While those cars and quads might not seem too vital on a map as small as Rebirth, that hasn’t stopped one player from figuring out all opportunities. An ATV on Rebirth Island’s highest rooftop? A dune buggy in the stairwell of a small building? As ‘DrezZone’ demonstrated, there is of ridiculous places where you can drive (and unleash bloodthirsty chaos) in Warzone’s smallest map. As you can see in the clip, DrezZone is a masterful driver with maniacal tendencies. As they explain it, they’ve simply “found a new way to have lots of fun.” And yes, that fun does come at everyone else’s expense. Can you imagine being knee-deep in a gunfight atop Prison, only to get run over by an ATV? That wouldn’t just be annoying, it would feel like the nightmarish brainchild of a Hollywood director eager to use up more than their budget. While some might argue that these car plays are dumb because smart players would just notice the vehicle on the minimap — sure, that’s reasonable. But would anyone expect an ATV in Prison to be… on top of Prison? No, that’s unreasonable. You’d assume it somehow got into the ground floor or something, where landlocked vehicles are supposed to be. Regardless of the victims’ aptitudes, DrezZone’s reckless action movie achieves two things: 1) Rebirth Island players will now see infinite possibilities when looking at the map’s underutilized cars; and 2) minimaps should no longer be trusted.

  • New Warzone meta gun? Drift0r says there’s a weapon better than AUG & M16 – Dexerto

New Warzone meta gun? Drift0r says there’s a weapon better than AUG & M16 Drift0r / ActivisionPopular Call of Duty YouTuber Drift0r explained how one of the “worst weapons in all of Warzone” has made a comeback to rival the AUG and, in some cases, the M16. The AUG has been one of the most consistently praised weapons in Warzone for a while now, but after the nerfs in the April 6 patch, people are starting to look elsewhere for a reliable rifle. Although the AUG, and M16 for that matter, pack a punch and fit in nicely to any Warzone loadout, another alternative has caught Drift0r’s eye and he thinks it can be even more handy in application. “The FR 5.56 used to be considered one of the worst weapons in Warzone,” he said. “But right now it’s kind of like a better AUG. Or, at least, very similar to the AUG and M16.” With the right attachments, Drift0r sees how the FR 5.56 “fits really well into the meta” and can be a really good choice for people that haven’t been liking the battle royale’s heavy lifters. Due to the AUG’s recoil nerf, it’s given the FR some wiggle room to compete in your loadout. While the FR 5.56’s burst delay is the gun’s “major drawback,” it’s crazy to think it’s the only thing keeping it from being OP, according to Drift0r. If you’re hitting your headshots, the time-to-kill (TTK) between all three, AUG, M16 and FR, is really close. With a fully kitted FR 5.56, Drift0r believes Warzone players will have a gun with an even tighter recoil that rivals the M16 and beats the current AUG. Drift0r’s FR 5.56 loadout for Warzone The stat that really compelled Drift0r to recommend his FR 5.56 build is the insane bullet velocity you get (720 m/s), compared to the other two (616 m/s). This really helps to land meaningful long-range shots across Verdansk. Barrel: 24.4” Sniper Barrel – Muzzle: Mono Supp – Underbarrel: Operator Grip – Laser: Canted Hybrid – Final Attachment: Player’s choice – Even though it’s a heavy rifle to handle, Drift0r was really impressed with the loadout he configured, but suggested players have a backup Bullfrog or other as their secondary to make up for its downfalls. A slow handling burst weapon is going to suffer in close-quarter combat, which the YouTuber found to be true with the FR build. Still, as Raven Software continue to tweak Warzone’s meta, Drift0r can see this FR build replacing the current AUG and bcominge a viable replacement for the M16 at long range.

  • Warzone drama erupts as pro accused of hacking in $100K tourney – Dexerto

Warzone drama erupts as pro accused of hacking in $100K tourney Activision / PexelsThe Call of Duty: Warzone community devolved into chaos as a pro was accused of hacking during a $100,000 tournament qualifier. With one particularly suspicious clip circulating, players and fans alike are debating Shifty’s legitimacy. Over the past several weeks, a Warzone competitor named ‘Shifty’ has been accused multiple times of hacking. Most prominently, former Call of Duty League pro and current ROKKR streamer Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevic has led the accusatory charge. On March 8, those allegations came to a very public peak – as a number of pros joined Blazt in claiming that Shifty was cheating during the $100,000 Caldera Challenge Qualifiers. With about $15,000 up for grabs during this leg of the qualifiers and $100,000 overall, the stakes were obviously high. As such, Blazt’s latest evidence – a clip of a suspicious kill – was widely discussed. Warzone pro accused of cheating in $100K tournament Former CDL pro @Blazt accused a competitor of cheating in yesterday’s Warzone $100K Qualifiers due to this clip. It’s been hotly debated, so we’re asking the community: Sus or not? 🤔pic.twitter.com/G0RLj5ZiL4 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) March 9, 2022 In Blazt’s clip, you can see Shifty’s crosshair abruptly latch onto an enemy from long range, at which point he beamed the enemy with pinpoint accuracy. Blazt’s reaction to this seven-second example was simple: “HOW ON EARTH IS THIS HUMAN ON A CONTROLLER??????” Shifty didn’t end up winning the event, but he did place third (in the prize pool) and put up the highest K/D in the tournament: 13.32 (per InTheZone). With those results, Blazt wasn’t the only one accusing the streamer of cheating – as top-10 Warzone earner, Edy ‘Newbz’ Juan, also agreed that there was a ‘cheater in the tourney.’ Others weren’t so convinced, though. Warzone’s top all-time earner and a fellow former CDL pro himself, Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren was one of several who argued that the clip wasn’t definitive proof. Warzone ‘hacker clip’ caused by skipped frames? I’m not saying he is or isn’t doing anything but in this clip the frames skip, meaning he dropped a few in OBS – watch the minimap and look at the cluster, it fully jumps to a different point without showing the movement. The man definitely has ‘sus’ clips, just not this one. — 100T Tommey (@Tommey) March 9, 2022 As Tommey explained, this clip wasn’t “sus” because of a “frames skip, meaning he dropped a few in OBS.” Elaborating, he pointed out that the Cluster Strike on Shifty’s minimap essentially teleported – proving that the lock-on moment could have looked weirder due to a streaming issue. While others have countered that frame skips can be caused by hacks, Blazt actually has a different way to resolve the debate. In a series of leaked DMs, the former pro suggested that the only way for Shifty to prove himself innocent is to “play on my $6,000 computer and buy him a brand-new controller.” Thus far, although Shifty has begun using monitor cams akin to MuTeX’s setup, he has not acknowledged Blazt’s offer publicly.
