Warzone devs confirm list of bugs being fixed in future updates Activision[jwplayer br5AuoVJ][jwplayer br5AuoVJ]Infinity Ward has revealed a whole host of new bugs within Modern Warfare and Warzone that they’re either investigating or actively working on getting fixed – including addressing the dropping a weapon in the pre-game lobby and finding it in Verdansk exploit. Just like every other multiplayer game on the market, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had its fair share of bugs and issues to deal with – be it something as simple as connection errors or bigger like having to reinstall the game over and over again. Infinity Ward have been doing their best to combat the issues by rolling out updates on a regular basis, but with Warzone also adding different issues to their pile, they can build up. Yet, the devs have revealed a handful of new bugs that have come to their attention and that may be fixed later down the line – with a few annoying problems finally making the cut. The Modern Warfare developers updated their Trello board on July 13 to note that six new bugs have been flagged as either being investigated to figure out a fix or as being worked on currently. These include things like players being able to drop a weapon in the Warzone pre-game lobby and then find it when they land, tracer bullets not having the desired visual effect when a different ammo type has been equipped, and players having their physics messed up by a helicopter after they jump out of one. You can check out a list of what was added to the Trello board below: If a player drops their weapons as the game transitions to the Infil sequence, they can find and pick up their dropped weapons once the match has started. – The tracers lose their impact VFX when the ammunition is changed from the default 5.56 NATO ammunition on the M4. – Users are able to turn the riot shield sideways in the preview screen. – Officer challenges are referenced as “Elder challenges” in the AAR. – Reports that the AAR shows different teams/values than their own in Warzone matches. – In some cases, players’ physics can be controlled by the helicopter while they have a parachute out. – Some of these, including the problem where players drop a weapon in the pre-game and find it when they drop into a match, as well as the physics being controlled by helicopters, are labeled as fixed in a future patch. However, it is not yet known when these fixes will be rolled out. In the meantime, fans can take solace in the fact that the devs are trying to root out problems no matter how big or small.

Warzone devs confirm Iron Trials coming to custom games for tournaments – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm Iron Trials coming to custom games for tournaments ActivisionWarzone devs Raven Software have confirmed that Iron Trials ‘84 will be coming to custom lobbies soon, and we could see a shake-up of custom tournaments to give top competitors something new to face off in. The Iron Trials mode was only added to the game in mid-September, giving a more nuanced Warzone experience with increased health, increased Buy Station prices and more. The community likes it but, more so, competitive players really seem to be enjoying it, with the belief that it’s heightened the skill gap in the game to truly separate the best from the rest. With some arguing that Iron Trials sets the perfect blueprint for the future of Warzone esports tournaments, Raven have answered the prayers of players. Iron Trials custom tournaments YouTuber and Call of Duty guru JGOD called for Iron Trials to come to customs, asking for it to arrive in the September 23 playlist update. Read More: Ultimate Warzone event calendar – In response, Raven said that “Iron Trials will remain live through [September] 30.” They then added: “As for customs… it’s not coming tomorrow is all we can say for now.” Iron Trials ’84 Duos will remain live through the 30th. As for customs… it’s not coming 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 is all we can say for now. 😉 — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) September 22, 2021 With multiple calls for the mode to become a permanent ranked mode in Warzone, it’s definitely curious that they’re removing it from the game. However, with the hint that it’s coming to customs at some point, players can still certainly hold out hope. One tournament organizer, BoomTV, already seems to have committed to bringing Iron Trials customs in, so players will be hoping to see how it plays out before long. While there’s no specific release date yet — except for the confirmation that it won’t arrive in the September 23 playlist update — we’ll just have to wait. Hopefully, though, it won’t be long after the mode is removed on September 30.

Warzone devs confirm Fortune’s Keep will be part of a map rotation in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm Fortune’s Keep will be part of a map rotation in Season 4 Raven Software alleviated the fear of Warzone fans by confirming that Rebirth Island will remain after the introduction of Fortunes Keep— but a map rotation in the final week of Season 4 spices things up. When the new Warzone map Fortune’s Keep was initially revealed, fans were worried that Rebirth Island may be removed from the game. On June 16, developers confirmed that “operations will be temporarily halted on Rebirth Island at next season’s launch but will return shortly.” Warzone and Vanguard Season 4 spans a five-week period and the Warzone developers revealed a map rotation system for the final week that mirrors an Apex Legends innovation. Fortunes Keep and Rebirth Island will rotate daily Raven Software released a blog on June 20, that goes over everything players need to know before jumping into Fortune’s Keep. Read More: Abandoned Modern Warfare AR still dominates Warzone with insane TTK This will mark the first time in Warzone’s history that the developers test out a map rotation system. Apex Legends currently rotates between its map pool of Storm Point, Olympus, and World’s Edge. Currently, In Apex Legends public matches, the map is rotated every 60-90 minutes. A map rotation keeps content fresh and ensures that there will not be a split in the player base. It will be interesting to see if this is a test run for Raven Software and a possible hint at a possible Warzone 2 feature.

Warzone devs confirm fix for infuriating controller disconnect issues coming soon – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm fix for infuriating controller disconnect issues coming soon Activision / Sony / MicrosoftRaven Software have confirmed that a fix is coming for infuriating controller disconnect issues in Warzone Pacific Season One, relating to both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. Warzone Pacific Season One brought a number of glitches and problems to the CoD battle royale, including the return of the infamous ‘demon gun glitch’ and Buy Stations causing the game to crash completely. Few, though, have been as egregious as controller disconnect problems. Hindering console players, as opposed to players using a controller via a PC – players have found themselves disconnecting mid-game. What makes the problems more frustrating though, is that simply plugging a controller back in or pressing the PS/Xbox button has not been solving the problem. Players have been forced to completely restart Warzone in order to ensure their controllers reconnect. The problems have been lurking since the Pacific Season One update went live earlier in December but, thankfully, Raven have now confirmed a fix is on its way. On the official Warzone Trello page, where the devs update fans on bugs and content changes, a fix is listed as “scheduled” for the controller disconnect problems. Unfortunately, no time-scale was given by Raven for the update, but we can assume it will drop with Warzone’s next major update, either in the week commencing December 27 or early in the new year. It will be good news for players on console, who have had to put up with a number of unique problems since the Pacific update dropped. Here’s hoping this is the first fix in a long line to make Caldera more enjoyable and, most importantly, playable.

Warzone devs confirm fix for hitscan AX-50 bug – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm fix for hitscan AX-50 bug ActivisionWarzone’s Ax-50 saw quite the unintended buff in the Season 3 Classified Arms Reloaded update on May 26, but Raven Software has confirmed that the new hitscan bug has already been fixed. Just half a season after nerfing the vast majority of Sniper Rifles in Warzone, Season 3 Reloaded accidentally propelled the classic Modern Warfare rifle right back up the ladder via a bullet registration bug. Players across the internet were taking advantage of the blunder, and even though the bug was only around for a while, they showed off exactly how strong a gun like this could be on a wide and open map like Caldera. Warzone devs have fixed the hitscan Ax-50 in Warzone The fix silently went live on May 27 and also patched up an issue with the Stim Shot tactical. “AX 50 hit scan issue has been patched and stims should be working correctly now,” the devs told Dexerto. Both of these problems were causing a bit of a stir after the update, with the AX-50 becoming quite the issue. There were tons of clips (like the one embedded below) that showcased players hitting unbelievable shots easier than ever before. Normally, the bullet drop would be quite severe at distance, but the bug was causing bullets to travel completely straight up to 400m away from the shooter. This would happen regardless of the build, so players were able to maximize speed without worrying about what it would do to their accuracy. This is the kind of feature that takes a mostly dead sniper and pushes it right back into the meta, but thanks to the new patch the HDR will probably hold onto that top spot until the next round of weapon tuning happens. As mentioned at the tail end of their statement, the new-look Stim Shots should be functioning as intended now as well.

Warzone devs confirm fix coming soon for under the map exploits – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm fix coming soon for under the map exploits ActivisionWarzone devs Raven Software have confirmed that a fix is coming soon for the “exploitable areas” on Verdansk and Rebirth Island. After long last, Warzone’s original map of Verdansk was finally updated and thrown back to the 1980s with the start of Black Ops Cold War season 3. The new 1984-themed version of Verdansk has a whole host of new points of interest, and looks a lot brighter than its predecessor. However, just like the modern-day version of Verdansk, and Rebirth Island, there are a few issues. It didn’t take players long to figure out ways to get under Airport and Stadium as they sit in these usually inaccessible, out of the map spots to terrorize their enemies and pick up wins. However, that’s finally going to be changing. On April 26, Respawn acknowledged the issues by updating their public Trello board to say that a fix is coming for these spots after they’d been investigating a fix for quite some time. They even tweeted about it as well, for anyone that may not have been checking their bugs and fixes board all that often. “We’ve been looking into exploitable spots on the map that allow players to reach areas that are normally inaccessible. A fix is coming soon!” they confirmed, much to the delight of many players. We’ve been looking into exploitable spots on the map that allow players to reach areas that are normally inaccessible. A fix is coming soon! #Warzonehttps://t.co/YcnMSq8m1w — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) April 26, 2021 As for when the fix will be deployed, that currently is unknown. The devs have only said that the fix is coming, and not giving a date or time. Nor have they said whether it’ll be a hotfix or a full-blown download. Players will be hoping that the fix launches sooner rather than later, so that the experience on the new map isn’t ruined before they have a chance to really get to grips with everything that has now changed.

Warzone devs confirm fix coming for the demon gun graphical glitch – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm fix coming for the demon gun graphical glitch Infinity Ward / Reddit, @Caased[jwplayer br5AuoVJ]Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 5 has had its launch derailed by the craziest visual glitch in the game’s history, but Infinity Ward have finally revealed that a fix is in progress. Update: August 13 at 10:43 AM Infinity Ward are “fast-tracking” a fix for the corruption bug that people have been coming across in Warzone. On August 12, the devs indicated that they were going to start on a fix, but are now ramping up production on the solution. We’re currently fast-tracking a fix to address the recent graphical corruption bugs some may be seeing on weapons and around the map in Warzone. We are targeting to release this fix as soon as possible and will provide more details as they become available. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) August 13, 2020 IW are trying to get the fix to players as quickly as they can since more players are coming across the problem. Original story follows below. Some call it the demon glitch, some call it the alien bug, and some simply call it the graphical glitch. But CoD’s developers just refer to this widespread issue as “reports of corruption appear on the end of weapons” and have subtly added the problem to their Trello task board without addressing it publicly. In the meantime, players have discovered one solution that seems to help. As made publicly visible by Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow during the $100,000 Toronto Ultra Warzone tournament and in various posts across Reddit and Twitter, the demon glitch is versatile and expansive. Thus far, it has been confirmed that the bug only happens in Warzone and that multiplayer appears to be relatively safe (aside from random spawns). In desperate attempts to assess the issue, glitch victims have done everything from comparing PC graphic cards to deleting and reinstalling the game. One theory holds that removing camos from your guns can help solve the problem, but that wouldn’t explain why the corruption remains present in Gulag weapons, for you or your enemies. On the bright side, players seem to have mostly treated this experience like a heightened training experience. Like Luke Skywalker honing his lightsaber skills with a helmet blindfold, many of these Verdansk soldiers have just played through the glitch—firing where they assume an enemy is and hoping it works out. But, like their blindfolded playerbase, the game’s devs have turned a blind eye to the problem on social media. And we need to track their Trello board to be comforted by the fact that the fix is “in progress.” It’s been around one week since Season 5 launched and this issue’s prominence has only gained traction since then, so hopefully it has become a higher priority for IW to address as well. In the meantime, Call of Duty League caster Maven has a solution that should work for players and their own guns at least. Allegedly, if you remove camos from your own guns then you shouldn’t have the issue on your end. But it’s not clear how that can address the problem occurring with enemy guns, ground loot, or even Gulag guns. As of August 12, the Trello card has been updated to say that the glitch will be “fixed in a future update.” We will be updating this page as soon as Infinity Ward rolls out a fix or updates the community on the exact timeline. Typically, patches deploy on Tuesdays so there can be some hope that it’s addressed within the next two weeks.

Warzone devs confirm five major Perk changes now live after secret update – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm five major Perk changes now live after secret update ActivisionFive enormous Warzone Perk changes are now confirmed to be in effect after a number of content creators spotted some secret adjustments in the latest update. From a hefty Ghost nerf to an E.O.D. buff, here’s all you need to know. Following on from Warzone’s Season 2 Reloaded update, players began noticing a few odd changes under the hood, many of which went unmentioned in the latest patch notes. Leading the charge was TrueGameData, who exposed a surprise nerf to the integral Ghost Perk. Then, JDOG was next to follow as the Warzone veteran uncovered more secret Perk changes, this time to both Quick Fix and Restock. While players were left scratching their heads for a few hours, Raven Software finally addressed the silent changes with a March 28 update. All of the above Perks have indeed changed, for better or worse, and a few others have also been tweaked as part of a rebalancing effort in Warzone. Five Perks in total now function differently following the latest Warzone patch. Scavenger, Restock, E.O.D., and Quick Fix have all been buffed, while Ghost received the lone nerf. Most of the buffs were applied for similar reasons, as many were “originally built for a multiplayer experience,” Raven explained. Thus, they’re not typically seen as the best fit for a battle royale. As a result, they’ve been upgraded in a number of ways to help contend with staple Warzone picks. Quick Fix, for instance, now comes with an added bonus of health regeneration while armoring up, which could drastically change the outcome of any given gunfight. Meanwhile, Ghost has been scaled back somewhat after growing “stronger” with the arrival of Caldera. Moving forward, the stealth effect of the Perk will only apply when you’re in motion. If your Operator is standing still for even a moment, expect to be visible on enemy radars. These key Perk changes appear to be just the start of Raven’s bigger plans for Warzone in its third year. While not much to go off, additional Perks could be overhauled in the very near future. “The changes observed today represent a glimpse of what is to come in Season Three,” Raven teased. The full list of Warzone Perk changes is as follows: Scavenger The pouch will now have a cyan outline for those with Scavenger equipped. – Increased dissipation time from 20 seconds to 60 seconds. – The pouch now gives a +1 Armor Plate on top of previous items. – Text update. – – Restock Recharge time reduced from 50 seconds to 25 seconds. – Stim is now on a 60-second timer to reduce spam and gas abuse. – Incorrect in-game text “50s” will be updated in a future update. – – E.O.D. E.O.D. will reduce damage or cap the damage whichever is higher. – Raised cap on explosive damage from 80 to 200. – Raise damage reduction from 35% to 45%. – Text update. – – Quick Fix Inserting an Armor Plate will now begin regenerating health. – Text update. – – Ghost The “Ghost” stealth effect will now only apply if the Player is moving. – Players can observe this via the arrow representing their Operator in the minimap fading when “Ghost” is active. – A text update will be coming in the future to clarify these changes. – – Updated tooltip text for the following Perks: Tune Up – Kill Chain – Pointman – Hardline – –

Warzone devs confirm Dead Silence changes to make it more “fair” – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm Dead Silence changes to make it more “fair” ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Dead Silence Field Upgrade has become one of the game’s most divisive, and in response Raven Software are looking into fixing it. Call of Duty’s Dead Silence Field Upgrade has one of the most divisive features in the game’s extensive history. Its appearance in the online battle royale, Warzone, has continued this legacy of controversy. Players have called out the Upgrade as being too easily obtainable in comparison to the powerful silencing effects it grants, as well as being in serious need of some sort of negative adjustment. Even streaming icon Dr. Disrespect has slammed Dead Silence for being a “stupid f**king mechanic.” Turns out that the devs have heard player frustrations, though, and are looking to act on it in future updates. Warzone devs “exploring” Dead Silence fixes In their June 22 Patch Notes update, Raven Software have announced that Dead Silence isn’t quite working as intended, and will therefore be receiving future balancing changes. Under the “Gameplay” section, the devs write “we are exploring all avenues in terms of changes to provide ‘fair’ and ‘reactable’ counterplay options to Dead Silence.” They go on to clarify that “a decision like this must be made carefully especially considering how it may destabilize other aspects of the game. We cannot promise anything at this moment but as we close in on an appropriate solution, we will share more details.” Urging players to “sit tight,” it’s clear that their protests haven’t fallen on deaf ears. 🛠️ A #Warzone update is going live soon! Includes balance changes to the MG 82 (BOCW), several bug fixes, and a comment on Perks. Warzone devs confirm ‘Damage Shield’ anti-cheat feature ruining hackers’ games – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm ‘Damage Shield’ anti-cheat feature ruining hackers’ games ActivisionWarzone devs confirmed that some hackers are given silent aim and can’t kill you in-game thanks to RICHOCHET anti-cheat’s “Damage Shield” feature. Since the December launch of the Warzone RICOCHET anti-cheat, hackers have had a harder time to ruin matches for others. However, there have been player reports of cheaters coming back and taking over nearly every match. Despite these claims, Activision said In an anti-cheat update that working and hacking is at an all-time low. The Warzone devs also confirmed something that fans had been speculating to be true, silent aim that suppresses cheaters in a unique way. Warzone devs acknowledge Damage Shield anti-cheat feature https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1494720562396024841 In a blog post from February 18, Activision confirmed that some hackers have been getting a debuff that prevents them from doing damage. The team is calling this feature a “Damage Shield.” As explained by the devs, when the server detects a cheater in the game it gives them this shield, which “disables the cheater’s ability to inflict critical damage on other players.” We have seen this before over the course of 2022, as it started as a rumor that hackers were doing less damage. Over time, people started to see it more and a clip from JoeWo all but confirmed this. Now, the Warzone team has made it official that this is a thing. It was in a testing phase but it has now been released across the world. However, devs said that if you encounter one of these hackers, to still use the report feature as it will help make the banning process faster. So, next time you drop into Warzone and run into a hacker that can’t damage you, maybe take a page out of TimTheTatman’s book, and humiliate them for a change.

Warzone devs confirm another ban wave to remove cheaters before Season 2 – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm another ban wave to remove cheaters before Season 2 ActivisionWarzone developers Raven Software have confirmed that they’ve dished out another large ban wave to players who have been cheating and hacking in the battle royale ahead of Season 2. Since releasing last March, Warzone has cemented itself along with Apex Legends and Fortnite as one of the premier offerings in the battle royale market. It’s gone from strength to strength over the last year, but one big problem has loomed large – cheating. Players have been able to pick up wallhacks, aimbots, as well as other exploits to ruin the experience for others. It’s something that fans have complained about, with many turning away from Warzone and making something else their main game until the game is cleaned up. As such, the devs have started a real push to rid the game of hackers, rolling out large ban waves at different points and shutting down cheat sellers. At the start of February, the devs dished out a ban wave that reportedly took down over 60,000 cheaters, and they were back at it again a week later, taking down an unknown amount of hackers. Read More: Will Verdansk be destroyed in Warzone? – In an additional third follow-up wave, the developers confirmed that they’ve targeted more cheaters and got rid of them from Verdansk and Rebirth Island ahead of the start of Cold War Season 2. “We said there’d be more… Another new ban wave has gone out for #Warzone,” the devs tweeted on February 22, again not giving an exact amount of how many cheaters had been struck by the banhammer. We said there’d be more… Another new ban wave has gone out for #Warzone. https://t.co/d2Dy1dXwCd — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) February 22, 2021 Of course, the news delights players who’ve had issues with cheaters, but there are things that others would like to see changed too. There are still complaints about overpowered weapons, broken attachments, and different in-game glitches. It remains to be seen if these ban waves are going to continue as frequently as they are, now that there’s been three in two weeks, but it the devs are staying true to their word of wanting to clean things up.

Warzone devs confirm accuracy fix coming after DLSS settings break aiming – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm accuracy fix coming after DLSS settings break aiming ActivisionRaven Software have confirmed that a fix is being worked on for the Warzone DLSS settings that are currently causing players’ aim to be a little off-center and inaccurate. Ever since Warzone first launched, the age-old debate about playing on PC and console has raged pretty strongly, with console players complaining that PC has one too many advantages. For starters, PC players seemingly have better aim assist when a controller is plugged in, and, on top of that, they are able to tweak graphics settings quite a bit to see things console players cannot. The long-awaited NVIDIA DLSS graphics settings were meant to help PC players make their game look even better and run buttery smooth, however, it’s caused quite a few headaches that the developers want to address. Shortly after the DLSS settings went live for PC players, Warzone YouTuber JGOD found that when using the ‘balanced’ and ‘quality’ filters, your shots weren’t wholly accurate. Instead of a crosshair and laser attachment lining up directly in the middle of the screen, they’d be off-centered, and shots would hit to the right of where a player was initially aiming. As a result, the devs have confirmed they’re trying to address it in an upcoming patch. “Update regarding DLSS: BeenoxTeam and NVIDIA are aware of an issue where DLSS may impact the accuracy of Weapon optics in Warzone,” they tweeted on May 28. “The team is working on a fix for an upcoming patch.” ❗ Update regarding #DLSS:@BeenoxTeam and @NVIDIA are aware of an issue where DLSS may impact the accuracy of Weapon optics in #Warzone. The team is working on a fix for an upcoming patch. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) May 28, 2021 As noted, part of the setting is unaffected. If you use anything other than the ‘balanced’ and ‘quality’ filters, you are pretty much fine. However, not everyone can run the other settings, given they are intended for higher-spec PCs. So, hopefully, this update isn’t too far away.

Warzone devs change M4A1 floor loot in June 24 playlist update – Dexerto
Warzone devs change M4A1 floor loot in June 24 playlist update Infinity WardInfinity Ward has released a new playlist update for Warzone and Modern Warfare, which included some desired changes to the floor loot pool in the popular battle royale. There are plenty of weapons for Warzone players to choose from, with different ‘floor loot’ guns scattered across Verdansk and loadout drops that are available on demand, which can help give the best chance at securing a victory. Despite the large variety of weapons, the M4A1 assault rifle is one that often stands out and is considered one of the best guns in the game, next to the Grau, for picking opponents off at medium to long-range. Due to the base strength of the M4, which can be found in the floor loot pool of weapons, Infinity Ward recently made the rifle burst fire only, instead of its previous automatic fire rate. The nerf to the weapon resulted in some backlash from Warzone players, however, it now seems as if the Modern Warfare developers have gone a step further in their latest playlist update. In the June 24 update, Infinity Ward revealed that the uncommon and rare burst version of the M4 assault rifle had been removed completely from Warzone’s floor loot. A quick playlist update is now live across all platforms to adjust the following: • Removing uncommon and rare burst fire versions of the M4 assault rifle in #Warzone loot • Allowing parties into the All or Nothing playlist in #ModernWarfare— Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) June 24, 2020 Despite the removal of the uncommon and rare rifles, the burst M4A1 is still available in Warzone as a common item, although it is less effective than the other versions. With the Grau expected to receive some heavy nerfs in one of Warzone’s future updates, it is likely that there will be a new weapon meta that players will need to adjust to. Infinity Ward also revealed another change, during the June 24 update, for the newly added ‘All or Nothing’ multiplayer playlist, with players now being allowed to queue up together on the party mode. This playlist update comes only a day after a significant patch on June 23, which introduced new game modes, operator bundles, and much more. You can find the full patch notes for Modern Warfare’s June 23 update here.

Warzone devs change health regen in major way – Dexerto
Warzone devs change health regen in major way Activision BlizzardCall of Duty developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software released the Season 2 patch notes for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone that introduce new content and massive changes to things like health regeneration to balance the game. The developer released patch notes for Season 2 that includes more content like The Walking Dead and Dune skins, new weapons, maps and missions. Across Warzone and Modern Warfare, the gameplay changes include updates to kill streaks, changes to weapons in every category, and multiple Field Upgrades. The biggest change, however, might be to the player’s health regeneration during matches. The community was not a fan of the time to kill across Season 1, so the developers are hoping to change the satisfaction of gunfights with this update. Warzone new health regen The developers have decreased the delay before health regen begins from four seconds to three. This should allow players to be able to fully recover from a gunfight and then be ready for the next one without feeling penalized for winning a close battle. Players’ base health regeneration rate has also been increased massively. Previously, health regenerated at 40 health points per second. In Season 2, health will regen at 75 hp per second which is an increase of about 88 percent. The developers explained in the patch notes that now it will take players about five seconds to go from 1 to 150 health, which is more than second seconds faster than before. “These changes aim to enhance the intensity and satisfaction of gunfights,” the patch notes said.

Warzone devs ban 50,000 more accounts before Season 5 and tease anti-cheat – Dexerto
Warzone devs ban 50,000 more accounts before Season 5 and tease anti-cheat ActivisionRaven Software have confirmed over 50,000 Warzone accounts have been banned just days after the community boycotted the game over its lack of anti-cheat. The game is going through something of a crisis in recent times, with large streamers such as NICKMERCS, Dr Disrespect, TimTheTatman, and others leaving it behind for Apex Legends. In fact, Doc even started up his own game studio with the intention of creating a rival AAA title in the future. Some streamers have argued that boycotting Warzone may not make a difference to the developers’ approach to anti-cheat, but one thing is for sure – they’re handing out a load of account bans. That is precisely the issue creators are having with the title, though, as these hackers can theoretically just create a new account and continue cheating. Warzone ban wave on August 11 On August 11, the Warzone dev team announced another huge ban wave of 50,000 people – according to their social media page. Along with that, it appears that they are making a pledge for an anti-cheat of some sort in the future. They said: “More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes. We will have more info for you soon.” 🚫 Today we banned over 50,000 accounts in #Warzone. More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes. We will have more info for you soon. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) August 11, 2021 In what’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the game’s community, where some have moved on to other battle royale titles, it will be positive news to see Raven teasing an announcement soon. They will be hoping many of the plaguing hacker problems will disappear soon enough so that they can return to normality. With CoD Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 5 starting up on August 12, it will be interesting to see if the devs drop details before or after it kicks off.

Warzone devs hit another 13k cheaters in latest battle royale ban wave – Dexerto
Warzone devs hit another 13k cheaters in latest battle royale ban wave ActivisionWarzone developers Raven Software have pushed out yet another ban wave for the popular Call of Duty battle royale, booting thousands of problematic accounts in Season 2. Cheating has long been one of the most controversial aspects of Warzone. With millions of players dropping in every week, there’s bound to be a few rotten eggs here and there. However, much of Warzone’s first year on the market was tainted by an overabundance of hackers. Finally looking to put a stop to the issues at hand, Raven Software have been deploying ban waves more rapidly than ever before. In 2021 alone, we’ve seen five major updates that have blocked thousands of accounts. The latest update just arrived on March 23 as another batch of players were barred from the title. “Over 13,000 accounts” were banned in the latest strike,” the developers confirmed. Another #Warzone banwave today. Over 13,000 accounts banned.🚫 Keeping them coming! https://t.co/whFNbYHlWb — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) March 23, 2021 This ban wave comes exactly one week after the last. While no specific figures were provided for the previous update, it’s safe to assume the total number of cheaters is dwindling. With Warzone being a Free-To-Play title, however, cheaters around the world are simply able to make new accounts from scratch. Even if one account is knocked down, 30 more could be in rotation for hackers to continue their pesky ways. Despite this, ban waves have served as a clear deterrent for some. With each new update, lobbies feel that little bit safer across the board. Until a more stringent anti-cheat system is in place, sizable ban waves are the best we can hope for. Since Raven’s refreshed commitment to anti-cheat in Warzone, we’ve seen at least two updates per month. This is a stark contrast from the majority of 2020 that saw hackers running rampant for months on end. There’s no clear pattern to the ban waves just yet, though we can expect to see them fairly often moving forward. With the first major strike of the year, Raven took down 60,000 accounts in one fell swoop. Now, we’re seeing considerably smaller ban waves. On one hand, this could be seen as a victory if the number of hackers is indeed shrinking. On the other, there could still be thousands of hackers out there who’ve been able to avoid new bans. It’s always worth keeping vigilant when dropping into Verdansk or Rebirth Island. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as each new ban wave rolls around.

Warzone devs announce plans to nerf Pacific cash flow – Dexerto
Warzone devs announce plans to nerf Pacific cash flow ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s developers at Raven Software have revealed some new plans for the Pacific. Apparently, there’s too much money going around and they want to nerf the map’s cash flow. When Warzone went to the Pacific, a number of changes were made to the game’s economy. On Caldera, UAVs cost $2,000 more than they did on Verdansk and loadouts can’t be purchased until much later in the game. Outside of those changes, the map simply seems to have a lot more cash laying around. Without the ability to buy loadouts, this has meant a lot of fattened wallets across the Pacific. Raven Software are now targeting this “overabundance of cash” in their balancing plans. As the studio explained, they intend to tweak this in the near future. Warzone devs want to nerf cash The Cash 💰 economy in #Warzone is one of the core pillars of the experience. With that in mind, we recognize that the current experience lends to an overabundance of Cash. We’re working towards a more balanced approached. Updates will come as we hone in on a solution. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) January 11, 2022 In a January 11 tweet, Raven said that they are “working towards a more balanced approached” when it comes to money. They promised further updates as they move in that direction, but wanted to open things up for feedback. To practically no one’s surprise, the majority of feedback is… not so positive. Players don’t seem particularly bothered by the amount of cash in Caldera, instead they want to see tweaks to the game’s economy and performance issues. Warzone streamers ask for loadout and killstreak price changes make self res more expensive, loadouts 15k-20k etc boom problem solved, people do bounties or other contracts to get cash etc to make people move around the map. i know easy fix you guys can hire me — FaZe Kalei (@KaleiRenay) January 11, 2022 Referencing the loadout change, TeeP said “it might help” the cash situation if players had something to spend $10,000 on in the early game. FaZe Kalei went further, noting that they could increase a number of Buy Station prices to lessen the impact of cash flow. Conversely, others – including Olympian Samantha Quek – have suggested Raven should prioritize different issues. As she explained, the game’s current buggy state on console is a much bigger problem than any amount of in-game cash could be. It will be interesting to see how Raven addresses these concerns, as they have maintained an interest in hearing feedback. At the moment, it seems that changes will be coming to Warzone in the not-too-distant future.

Warzone devs announce plans to add Ranked Play in future – Dexerto
Warzone devs announce plans to add Ranked Play in future ActivisionIn a private meeting with creators about the future of Call of Duty: Warzone, the developers revealed that they are interested in bringing Ranked Play to the battle royale title – but have some reservations. With games like Apex Legends and Fortnite overtaking Warzone on Twitch, the battle royales’ differences have unsurprisingly come under the community microscope. Outside of gameplay mechanics, the biggest advantage Apex and Fortnite have over CoD’s BR is easily ranked play. When Warzone’s biggest streamer, NICKMERCS, made the switch to Apex, he was candid about how important Ranked is: “Having that successful ranked mode to grind makes such a difference.” With that context, Warzone’s players have long wondered about the addition of a ranked playlist. Popular streamer and competitor Aydan even outlined his ideal competitive system. Now, the devs are finally explaining their ranked intentions. Warzone devs confirm Ranked Play plans Warzone leadership said they are interested in a Ranked Play for Warzone, but ‘have to do it right’ and about balancing out ‘timing’ of it. https://t.co/zJJa8wNQK7 — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 11, 2022 During the private session with CoD influencers, the devs apparently confronted the topic of ranked play. Game Director Josh Bridge told creators that they are interested in adding the highly requested mode: “We want to do Ranked right.” As far as what ‘doing it right,’ Bridge elaborated that they are concerned with the “timing of it.” Further, they are conscious of Warzone Pacific’s bugginess and, as far as adding Ranked, they “don’t want to come out and do it broken.” While CoD players eagerly anticipate Vanguard ranked on February 17, the devs will also be able to use that system as a framework for Warzone. Vanguard’s Ranked Play will be a return to WWII’s ELO format, which players are much keener on than Black Ops Cold War’s version. For further inspiration, Raven Software will also be able to take some cues from Apex Legends and Fortnite. It remains to be seen precisely when Warzone will receive a ranked playlist or how it will play out. Still, this is the first time they’ve ever even mentioned an interest in it, so players will likely appreciate these tentative plans.

Warzone June 22 update nerfs MG 82 LMG: Patch notes – Dexerto
Warzone June 22 update nerfs MG 82 LMG: Patch notes ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 4 launched with the MG 82 LMG and, following its dominance in Verdansk, devs went into full-on crisis control. Now, a new patch has slashed the weapons stats in an attempt to rein it in. The writing was on the wall for the MG 82 already, as early patch notes explained that it would have the fastest firing rate of any LMG. That was alluring enough for streamers to jump on it as soon as Season 4 deployed, but its other traits have made it an absolute necessity. The MG 82 not only had a blistering firing rate — it also had practically nonexistent recoil and enough bullet velocity to disintegrate enemies from absurd distances. Those attributes, coupled with yet another nerf to the CR-56 AMAX, made it the best primary weapon in the game, and prompted Raven Software to take action. It’s no surprise then, that devs quickly took notice and have now made changes within a couple days of Season 4’s release. As Raven Software explain, the LMG is too strong and that’s what the nerfs aim to fix. The MG 82 is getting a total of 7 changes in the June 22 update, listed below: Maximum Damage decreased from 30 to 29 – Minimum Damage decreased from 28 to 27 – Maximum Damage range decreased by 20% – Headshot multiplier decreased from 1.3 to 1.2 – Upper Chest multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1 – Extremities multiplier decreased from 1 to .9 – Vertical and Horizontal Recoil increased – While these changes definitely seem significant, devs say we shouldn’t expect to see the LMG leaving meta, though hopefully it will be a bit less OP. “Do not be deceived by the magnitude of these changes,” Raven said in the patch notes. “The damage per magazine and rate of fire is still top tier so we expect the MG 82 to remain viable.” 🛠️ A #Warzone update is going live soon! Includes balance changes to the MG 82 (BOCW), several bug fixes, and a comment on Perks. The Season Four patch notes have been updated (see June 22nd): https://t.co/lL99ezRul4 pic.twitter.com/x0iEaKriKN — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) June 22, 2021 Raven didn’t waste any time at all in Season Four to make changes to the MG 82, and based on how OP it seemed before the June 22 patch, that makes sense. An LMG can have a fast firing rate, but probably shouldn’t also be able to control easily or whip out against an SMG close-range. Now that the update is live, all that remains to do is watch and see if it actually accomplishes what devs intend it to.

Warzone devs admit game is so “bloated” they don’t know what’s causing bugs – Dexerto
Warzone devs admit game is so “bloated” they don’t know what’s causing bugs ActivisionWarzone developers Raven Software have admitted that the game is so “bloated” with the Cold War and Vanguard integrations that they sometimes don’t even know what’s causing bugs in the game. Warzone launched in March 2020 as the battle royale brother of Modern Warfare, but since then has been expanded into the worlds of Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. Throughout all the updates and changes the game has gone through, a number of bugs and glitches have cropped up, causing mayhem on the map. The demon gun glitch, out-of-bounds exploits, and invisible skins have all run rampant. With the announcement of Warzone 2 now made official, though, the devs have admitted that there is too much going on in the game and it’s causing them troubles. During the media briefing in which Warzone 2 was revealed, the devs admitted that the game is in a poor state, saying that “we f**ked stuff up,” but gave their explanation. Per a CharlieINTEL tweet, they said that “Warzone was just meant to be an extension of Modern Warfare” and then “we integrated Black Ops and then Vanguard” and now the “game is bloated.” They then admitted that because there’s so much going into the game, they have problems finding what’s even causing bugs. “”Warzone was just meant to be an extension of Modern Warfare”” and then “”we integrated Black Ops and then Vanguard”” and now the “”game is bloated.”” The devs admitted that because there’s so much going in to the game, they literally have problems finding what’s even causing bugs. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 11, 2022 While details on Warzone 2 are still scarce, it definitely seems as though this is a problem they want to avoid going forward. With the new game being built alongside what will reportedly be Modern Warfare 2, they may aim to keep it purely as a Modern Warfare 2 battle royale, without any more integrations.

Warzone devs address widespread bugs after Season 5 update – Dexerto
Warzone devs address widespread bugs after Season 5 update ActivisionFollowing the Season 5 update to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 in early August, a number of frustrating bugs made the game difficult to play, with some even calling it the worst update yet. But developers Raven Software have addressed a number of the issues. Every update can bring its own problems to any game, and Warzone isn’t unique in that regard by any means, as proven in Season 5. However, as one of the biggest games in the world, there is a large number of players annoyed with all of the bugs they have encountered since downloading the latest update. Slowly but surely, though, they are being addressed, with some bugs already fixed while Raven seek to figure out a solution for others that still persist. Here are some of the key issues they’ve addressed in the battle royale. Raven working on multiple Warzone bugs One key complaint was that players couldn’t unlock new Season 5 weapons during exfil in DMZ. On August 3, Raven started investigating the issue, ultimately pushing out a small update to fix the issue and make S5 weapons unlockable in DMZ once again. Another major complaint from many was that something felt different about tactical sprint in the game following the update. While it wasn’t completely broken, there were clear differences that players couldn’t understand. While a fix has not yet been made, the situation was addressed, with the devs saying they are “actively working on a fix for a bug affecting tac sprint behaviour.” Finally, also on August 3, they managed to fix yet another issue that was causing players to lose their minds, as they were being forced to put on night-vision goggles during Warzone matches for no discernible reason. “We have just implemented a fix for this issue,” they said. “NVGs should no longer appear/equip unintentionally in Battle Royale.” It goes without saying that Season 5 hasn’t been the easiest launch for Warzone, but Raven are clearly hard at work making sure things run smoothly and they don’t fall behind or allow bugs to run rampant. So far, there has been no comment on the rumors that Raven secretly nerfed aim assist in Warzone 2.

Warzone devs address unlimited Dead Silence exploit ruining matches – Dexerto
Warzone devs address unlimited Dead Silence exploit ruining matches Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone devs have finally implemented a temporary fix for the unlimited Dead Silence exploit that was taking over Verdansk and making players impossible to hear. There’s been a constant debate within the Warzone community about the power of Dead Silence and whether it deserves to be in the game. While supporters of the field upgrade say that it counters campers, players that dislike it claim it’s incredibly overpowered and broken in certain scenarios. So, when Raven Software announced in the Season 4 Reloaded patch that the High Alert perk was going to be changed to provide a counter to Dead Silence, the community was over the moon. However, shortly after the update, an exploit allowing players to infinitely activate the field upgrade surfaced in-game, forcing the devs to take immediate action. Warzone devs temporarily fix unlimited Dead Silence bug Following the Season 4 Reloaded update, players realized that if they switch their field upgrade to Dead Silence in the pre-game lobby at the correct moment, their footsteps would be permanently silent through the entire match. As the exploit was incredibly easy to perform, it wasn’t long before countless players began abusing the bug in-game. Luckily, the issue was brought to Raven’s attention fairly quickly and they were able to implement a temporary fix. Rather than removing the exploit completely, the devs decided to disable the pre-match lobby loadout selection, making it impossible to abuse the Dead Silence bug. ❗We have pushed an update to remove the pre-match lobby Loadout selection. Players will no longer begin a match with their Loadouts. This also resolves an issue with infinite Dead Silence in core BR modes. We will re-enable this feature at a later date. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) July 15, 2021 Although the pre-match lobby loadout selection is a convenient feature for players, it’s definitely something the community can do without for a while. It’s not known how long this quality of life feature will be disabled, it all depends on whether Raven can address the bug directly. On the positive side, at least players can hear each other’s footsteps again and don’t have to worry about being killed seemingly out of the blue.

Warzone devs address annoying skin trail bug in Operator skins – Dexerto
Warzone devs address annoying skin trail bug in Operator skins Infinity Ward[jwplayer mCpsAxNx]A Call of Duty: Warzone operator skin is bugged and not showing any smoke trail when the character deploys. This unfair advantage has been called out by the community, with Infinity Ward confirming that they are aware of the issue. No pun intended, but the Wendigo Operator Pack is cool. For just 2,400 Call of Duty Points, you get an adorable abominable snowman charm, a couple frosty weapon blueprints and a chilly Taiga skin for Krueger—but that skin doesn’t have a smoke trail, and that’s a no-go for Warzone’s competitive integrity. You don’t spend a lot of time deploying from the heavens and down onto Verdansk, but those moments, whether at the start of the match or during a re-deployment, spent parachuting and nose-diving into combat are some of the most critical in the game. The sky is the game’s most powerful high ground and, to give people a chance amidst the chaos, each skydiving character is followed by a red trail of smoke. That trail of smoke is crucial on your initial deployment, as it allows you to see where opponents are landing and begin strategizing. Later in the game, it’s less impactful but still useful, so that you’re not surprised by a re-deployed ambush—especially should one of Season 4’s Jailbreak Events occur. Krueger’s Taiga skin breaks that balance by providing people who paid for the bundle with an unfair advantage. In a clip shared by ‘aur0n’ on Reddit, someone using the skin is seen deploying for an instant with no trail. The character simply disappears to the human eye, with the video needing to be replayed in slow motion just for you to really notice that they’re there. That’s how impactful the lack of a smoke trail is. Fortunately, Infinity Ward is on the case. While the bug has yet to be added to their Trello board, IW’s Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams replied on Reddit to let the community know that this issue is “noted.” No matter how slight or niche this advantage is, it still presents concerns for a game that becomes more competitive each passing day. Having any semblance of a pay-to-win microtransaction, that’s available solely to people willing to buy a bundle, is damaging for a game’s integrity. As of yet, there has been no confirmation of when exactly the bug will be fixed—but the developers are aware and it should be remedied soon. In the meantime, just be careful where you drop.

Warzone devs finally acknowledge ‘concerning’ Double Barrel Shotgun – Dexerto
Warzone devs finally acknowledge ‘concerning’ Double Barrel Shotgun ActivisionWarzone developers at Raven Software have finally addressed the controversial Double Barrel Shotgun loadout, acknowledging its power and promising an imminent change. One class, in particular, has dominated Warzone in recent weeks. The Double Barrel Shotgun loadout raised eyebrows as soon as it was uncovered in the Season 1 update, and now it’s infamous for tearing up every lobby. Capable of ‘one-shotting’ from close range, the class was quickly deemed broken. In fact, many even labeled it one of Warzone’s most powerful guns ever. Anyone using the loadout was considered “toxic” as a result. With the holiday break now over and devs back to work, players finally have an update. Weeks after the Shotgun came into focus, Raven Software has finally issued a statement — but no changes yet. Following on from a surprise January 5 update — one that nerfed the not-so-popular invisible skin — the developers made a further announcement. While it wasn’t bundled into the latest patch, the Double Barrel Shotgun is finally in line for a change: “We’re aware of the concerns regarding the Akimbo Double Barrel Shotgun. An adjustment is coming in the near future.” No further details were provided. There’s no ETA on when the nerf will arrive, nor how the Shotgun will be tweaked. The Akimbo attachment also hasn’t been disabled at the time of writing. ❗️ We’re aware of the concerns regarding the Akimbo Double Barrel Shotgun (VG). An adjustment is coming in the near future. Stay tuned. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) January 6, 2022 While the controversial loadout may still be live in Warzone today, rest assured a fix is imminent. We’ll be sure to keep you posted here as any further details emerge. In the meantime, brush up on everything included in the latest Warzone update right here.

Warzone devs accidentally give meta pistol insane buff – Dexerto
Warzone devs accidentally give meta pistol insane buff ActivisionThe COR-45 pistol was nerfed in Season 5 before being buffed again just a week later, following player complaints. However, developer Raven Software may have accidentally given it far more of a buff than intended, potentially birthing a new Warzone meta. The COR-45 is the first pistol players unlock, and it received a huge rate of fire nerf at the start of Season 5. This made it much less effective, especially when trying to regain against players who already have their loadouts. Realizing that they may have gone overboard, Raven buffed the COR-45 in the July 30 update, giving it a faster rate of fire than even before it was first nerfed. However, they may have inadvertently made one attachment way more powerful than intended, increasing the rate of fire by over 700%. The COR-45’s XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit makes the gun fully automatic, and while the base gun received a strong rate of fire buff, it can now shoot full-auto at 3750 RPM, up from the base 450 RPM. Raven were clearly quick to realize their mistake, as the Conversion Kit can now no longer be equipped to the pistol — but there is a workaround. If you have a COR-45 blueprint that already uses the attachment, either from a Store bundle or the Battle Pass (not a Custom Mod), then you’ll still be able to use the buffed kit and pick whichever other attachments you like. At the time of writing, only two blueprints utilize the Conversion Kit: Cork and Screw, from the Season 4 Battle Pass, and the Desert Maula, part of the Dune Part Two: Paul Atreides bundle. It’s worth noting that the blueprint won’t even show the Conversion Kit attachment slot when you’re creating the class, but it will still be on the gun when you load in. That means you can still mow down opponents in Warzone, be it battle royale or resurgence, and even take it into Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer if you really want to give the gun a good run.

Warzone developers respond to ‘unbreakable’ Gas Mask bug – Dexerto
Warzone developers respond to ‘unbreakable’ Gas Mask bug ActivisionInfinity Ward are working on fixing a major Warzone bug with the notorious Gas Masks, which, in a rare glitch, become totally invulnerable. Verdansk’s inevitable circle collapse catches even the best of us off-guard in Warzone. Luckily, players can equip themselves with Gas Masks to avoid taking any damage. While the animation when equipping the mask has come under scrutiny in the past, the most recent glitch to come into the spotlight is ruining endgame scenarios. Essentially, players can randomly stumble across an ‘unbreakable’ Gas Mask which grants them permanent immunity from the toxic effects of the gas, as both Vikram ‘Vikkstar’ Singh Barn and Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren discovered. While the exact cause of the bug isn’t known, some players have theorized that interacting with loot at the exact moment the mask is about to break is at the root of the issue. Of course, any player that manages to come across the bug is given a free win, as all they need to do is run into the toxic smog while their foes perish. So, given the game-breaking nature of the bug, Infinity Ward are on the case. On June 10, the Warzone devs opened a Trello ticket on their Issue Tracker, which is now labeled ‘In Progress.’ Per their tracker, it also looks like a fix is imminent for the infamous placebo weapon glitch, where players see the incorrect model for the gun they’re picking up from the ground. While this doesn’t point towards an exact date for the fixes, it provides a glimmer of hope that a degree of normality will return across all Warzone games.

Warzone dev says Ricochet anti-cheat will get better with future updates – Dexerto
Warzone dev says Ricochet anti-cheat will get better with future updates ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Warzone devs say that the Ricochet anti-cheat is going to “get better and better” as they continue their fight against cheaters, but they’ve got to remain coy on what exactly might change. Warzone’s cheating epidemic has been well-documented to this point, with many players turning their back on the Call of Duty battle royale after coming across one too many hackers. Raven Software and Activision have tried to stamp the cheating problem out with regular ban waves and the arrival of the Ricochet anti-cheat. The kernel-level anti-cheat has struck down many players already, but some fans want it to go much further as the battle royale keeps evolving – with some hoping that they’ll never see cheaters again. Following the Season 2 Reloaded update, streamer Tyler ‘Teep’ Polchow spoke with Warzone creative lead Josh Bridge about the possibility of rotating between Verdansk and Caldera, a future ranked mode, as well as some other changes that may appear down the line – which included improvements to the Ricochet system. The former Call of Duty pro asked Bridge about his thoughts on Ricochet’s performance so far, and whether or not the developers have plans to keep expanding it as they move forward. “Overall, we’re absolutely happy with it,” Bridge said, noting that previously the developers would have to “scramble and plug holes” when a cheat arose, but that’s changed with a dedicated team. “And, it keeps getting better because we find new ways that cheaters are finding a different sort of loophole or a hack and we plug it up, and we move forward. “We can’t be fully transparent on it because we’re also trying to protect the players without actually disclosing what we’re doing, and it’s not to be nefarious, it’s to literally protect fair play. So, it’s going to keep growing and get better and better, I’m excited about it.” Timestamp of 32:25 As Bridge notes, the devs do have to keep their cards close to their chest as to not rip off cheat creators on what they might be targeting next. While some players hope that cheaters would never pop up in matches, it is difficult to completely wipe them out, but the number of them should drastically reduce over time.

Warzone dev reveals update could soon buff “under represented” weapons – Dexerto
Warzone dev reveals update could soon buff “under represented” weapons ActivisionLMGs in Warzone are often underappreciated by many and are not selected at a high rate — but a Warzone dev recently revealed a plan that will be music to the ears of LMG users. Warzone’s current meta makes Assault Rifles and SMGs arguably much more viable than SMGs, Shotguns, and, Marksman Rifles. The Modern Warfare PKM is the most selected LMG, but still, only .49% of the time compared to the STG which is picked 16.58%. There is a massive gap in the player base when it comes to using LMGs compared to other weapons. Warzone Loadout provides daily updates on weapon meta rankings, and a recent article done by them received a revealing Twitter comment from a Warzone developer. Possible LMG buff coming to Warzone Raven Software Senior Game Designer Tully Ackland said in a tweet, “we want to bring more identity and viability to LMGs.” LMGs on paper should perform much better in Warzone. The class offers weapons with massive magazine sizes and powerful damage output. However, with mobility improvements in Warzone such as balloons that allow you to fly around the map and an easily accessible fast-travel transit system, players may not want to lug around massive weapons for close-range engagements. You love to see it. The team is working hard to try and replicate this across the other classes along with making under represented weapons viable (e.g we want to bring more identity and viability to LMGs) -lots to do! https://t.co/lR2azvBpgt — Tully Ackland (@TullyAckland) June 2, 2022 Warzone Loadout’s article discussed the best SMGs to use, and Ackland was pleased that Warzone Loadout complimented a “really well balanced” close-range meta. Ackland wants other under-represented weapons to be more viable as well. Whatever the case may be for why LMGs have become neglected in Warzone, it looks like the once-powerful class may finally receive some reworking soon.

Warzone dev reveals more 80’s crossovers & map changes coming in future updates – Dexerto
Warzone dev reveals more 80’s crossovers & map changes coming in future updates ActivisionA Warzone developer has revealed that further 1980’s-themed crossovers will be coming to the battle royale in future updates, and there should be more map changes to boot. Just as some other battle royale developers have done, Raven Software have dipped into crossovers between pop culture and Warzone on a few occasions now. It first started back at Halloween with the Haunting of Verdansk as several Halloween villains were added as skins, and its continued into Black Ops Cold War. The brand-new 80’s action heroes bundle lets players take on the form of John Rambo or John McClane from Die Hard, and there are even map changes to go along with a limited-time takeover event. That could be more regular in Warzone as well. Following the launch of the new crossover, which has seen Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza descend on Verdansk, Raven Software’s Amos Hodge has confirmed that there is more to come. Speaking to the official PlayStation blog, Warzone’s lead developer said: “We’re definitely going to lean into the ‘80s and we’re definitely going to continue making updates. “This is one of the first big splashes we’re making, but you can expect continual updates to the map, new content, and ways to play throughout the seasons.” With Verdansk now being set in 1984, there are a whole host of things that Raven can do – from further movie crossovers, to music, and maybe even sports. Prior to the launch of the current crossover, some leakers believed that The Terminator franchise could be involved in a crossover, given the original launched in 1984. It remains to be seen if that’ll happen, but at least Raven have got plans. We can only wait to see what they have in store.

Warzone dev reveals fix for missing Trick or Treat rewards bug – Dexerto
Warzone dev reveals fix for missing Trick or Treat rewards bug ActivisionOne of Warzone’s lead developers has responded to the frustrating Trick or Treat rewards bug during the Haunting of Verdansk event, with players not getting the Pumpkin Punisher Grau blueprint after completing all the challenges. [jwplayer S757WrdH] The Haunting of Verdansk is the special Halloween event in Warzone, with lots of new content for players to sink their teeth into. This includes new Operator packs, including skins from horror films Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as well as the new Zombie Royale game mode and, of course, the Trick or Treat Rewards. By searching chests in 16 different locations, players can earn all manner of items from calling cards and emblems to the awesome Cleaver melee blueprint. As a result of unlocking all 16, you’re supposed to get the Grau blueprint weapon, Pumpkin Punisher — but for some people, this isn’t happening. A number of players have reported that even after completing all 16 Trick or Treat challenges and unlocking all the rewards, the Pumpkin Punisher remains locked and isn’t added to their Armory. One player reported the issue to Joe Cecot, the Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at developer Infinity Ward, and he suggested that the likely issue is the UI thinks players have everything, but they’re actually missing one of the rewards. To fix this, Cecot offered a workaround, though it might not be particularly fun: he advises players to hit all the locations again and the gun will likely be unlocked, to make sure the game properly registers the completion of every single challenge. He also says that it’s “most likely the location that is still not registered will give candy out of the box.” https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1319137109622439936 Of course, this will be slightly frustrating for players who have not yet unlocked the Pumpkin Punisher, despite having completed all of the relevant tasks. Cecot did add that in the long run, they’ll “most likely fix people in this state,” though it’s unclear when that could happen, or even if at all.

Warzone dev responds to fence glitch letting players see through cover – Dexerto
Warzone dev responds to fence glitch letting players see through cover Infinity WardInfinity Ward have responded to another frustrating glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone, which sees a tarpaulin-covered fence being completely see through from one side. Despite it’s popularity, Warzone faces two major challenges: cheaters and bugs. While Infinity Ward continue to do their best to reduce the glitches and inconsistencies, they seem to be fighting a losing battle. We saw a swift patch for the infamous ‘demon gun’ glitch but a host of new issues have emerged in the meantime. One focuses on textures and layers not registering properly in Verdansk, seeing players lose weapons and cash randomly. Shared to Reddit on August 17, u/Blaighk shed light on a glitch that allows players on one side of a fence to see and shoot through it no issue. From the other side, however, it is covered in tarpaulin and players cannot see through to the other side at all. Needless to say, this provides a monumental advantage to players on the favorable side of the fence. Attached was a clip of the Redditor in an engagement around Verdansk’s Hospital. An enemy drops down from the rooftop and behind an opaque fence, but still manages to shoot and eliminate the player. The killcam tells a completely different story, seeing the enemy drop behind a transparent fence. Thankfully, Infinity Ward’s Art Director, Joel Emslie, was on hand to respond. He simply said: “I’m bugging now. Thank you for posting.” He did not provide any more details, for example on a time-scale, but the severity of the glitch likely means we will see a swift update soon. It’s probably a case of visual inconsistencies, but it certainly tips the balance of gunfights in one player’s favor. We will update you when the glitch is fixed in a future patch.

Warzone dev responds to console FOV slider demands in Pacific – Dexerto
Warzone dev responds to console FOV slider demands in Pacific Treyarch/ActivisionFor Warzone console players, an FOV slider has been a dream feature since the game’s release and finally, a dev has responded to the demands and potentially dropped a hint. Warzone Pacific Season 1 is on the cusp of releasing and players are gearing up for one of the biggest content drops in the game’s history. With the Caldera map and Vanguard’s wide range of weapons set to be added to Warzone, it’s safe to say the community is on the edge of their seats and ready for December 8. However, despite all of these exciting new additions, console players still only have one feature on their minds, and that’s an FOV slider. Well, after taking to Twitter to answer questions from players, Warzone’s Creative Director addressed calls for an FOV slider and even pointed towards the upcoming patch notes. Warzone’s Creative Director addresses calls for FOV slider On December 1, Warzone’s Creative Director took to Twitter to ask players whether they were excited about the upcoming Pacific update. During this time, they took the time to answer some questions and one of them involved the addition of a console FOV slider. After being asked whether Warzone will ever add the heavily requested feature, the Creative Director acknowledged that as a console player themselves, they knew why the community was so desperate for a FOV slider and that they were listening to the player’s demands. Not only that, but they also pointed towards the upcoming patch notes arriving on December 8, suggesting an FOV slider feature may be mentioned ahead of the major update. Definitely aware of this, especially that I speak as a console player. Thing is, if I tweet literally anything then it will become a headline which wouldn’t be fair on me or the team. I just hope that these patch notes make it clear; you are being heard, and we are listening. — Ted Timmins (@JustTeddii) December 1, 2021 While it’s possible the patch notes coming with the Pacific update could reveal a release date or even include a FOV slider feature for console, it’s likely that this won’t be the case. However, with less than a week to wait before the community can dive down into Caldera, we’ll just have to wait and see what the update has to offer and whether there’s a surprise mention of a FOV slider.

Warzone dev responds after players demand nerf for “stupid” Radar Jammer – Dexerto
Warzone dev responds after players demand nerf for “stupid” Radar Jammer ActivisionWarzone players are calling for the Radar Jammer Field Upgrade after signs show that it may be a little too overpowered — and developers have responded to the demand. The Radar Jammer Field Upgrade was added into Warzone in the Season 3 Reloaded Update. Radar Jammer scrambles players’ mini-maps for 45 seconds and has a radius of 125 meters. Players within the radius are not able to use Killstreaks, Heartbeat Sensors, see the circle, or see pings from teammates or from when teammates die. The Field Upgrade is similar to a Trophy System and has to be placed down to be activated. Why do players dislike the Radio Jammer Field Upgrade? A Reddit user posted a thread with the title “Radar Jammer is one of the worst additions to the game.” One person commented that “it’s ridiculous you can’t even use killstreaks when you’re being jammed. Definitely overpowered and annoying on Rebirth. On a small map such as Rebirth Island, this Field Upgrade has the potential to be a nightmare for several players at a time trying to use killstreaks or relocate into the next circle. Hey there! The team is super aware of that, and we’re working on a fix to improve the player experience. Stay tuned 🤙 — BeenoxCODPC (@BeenoxCODPC) May 26, 2022 Call of Duty player TheGhostOfHope tweeted that the radius of the Radar Jammer should be nerfed. The Beenox team who is responsible for working on Rebirth Island responded by saying they are reworking the Radar Jammer but there is no official time frame on when the patch will come. Another user added that “The radius is way too big. Even if I’m a considerate distance away from it, the jammer still takes up a considerate portion of my minimap. To be even more of a nuisance to enemies, you can put the Radar Jammer on a vehicle and drive around the map causing chaos. There are some countermeasures available to deal with Radar Jammers. The Radar Jammer can be destroyed by shooting it, and the Engineer Perk can hack the item and use it against the person who deployed it. We will provide an update when the update gets released.

Warzone dev explains why Plunder was removed and confirms return – Dexerto
Warzone dev explains why Plunder was removed and confirms return Infinity WardJoe Cecot, Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, has provided a positive update for Warzone players hoping to see the return of Plunder modes, confirming they were only removed temporarily. Plunder is a a variant mode in Call of Duty: Warzone. As opposed to normal modes, where the cloud of toxic gas slowly engulfs the map and forces players towards an end-zone, Plunder is entirely based on collecting as much cash as you can. When one team reaches $1,000,000, a two minute timer is triggered, giving players a final period to get as much cash as they can. However, despite its popularity, it was removed from Warzone with the Season 4 launch. The removal has caused consternation among some players, many of whom have expressed desires to see it return. On June 13, one Twitter user said: “Where did Plunder / Blood Money go? It’s the only game mode that me and my friends play and we were chasing 300 plunder wins this weekend!” There have also been many frustrated posts on Reddit, with people echoing this sentiment. One Redditor said: “Seriously who thought it was a good idea to completely remove plunder from the game? I have so much fun playing plunder and now I seen they took it out the game completely, stop f**king with the playlists nobody asked for you to remove”. Thankfully, Infinity Ward’s Joe Cecot was on hand to provide some positive news to fans who want to see it return, explaining that it was only removed to make room for other modes and the free MP weekend currently taking place. “It will be back soon,” he confirmed. “Just made room for MP trial and Warzone Rumble. I love it too :)”. It will be back soon. Just made room for MP trial and Warzone Rumble. I love it too 🙂 — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) June 13, 2020 While Cecot did not provide a timescale on Plunder’s return, June 16 appears a likely date at the moment. Most Modern Warfare patches go live on Tuesdays, and this date would also allow time for the free multiplayer weekend to wrap up.

Warzone dev confirms sniper nerfs coming in Season 3 update – Dexerto
Warzone dev confirms sniper nerfs coming in Season 3 update ActivisionA Raven Software developer has confirmed that nerfs to sniper and marksman rifles will be arriving in Warzone with the Season 3 update. Sniper rifles have long been a point of contention for Warzone players, and even in the wider battle royale space. When much of the game is about survival and simply trying to get to the end of the match, sniper rifles that can knock you in one hit can be a seriously frustrating thing to come up against. This seems to have only become an even bigger issue in recent months, to the point that many Warzone players are desperate for change — and it’s finally coming. When the Baka Bros asked Raven’s Senior Creative Director Ted Timmins whether the studio had considered nerfing snipers and marksman rifles, Timmins was honest in his assessment. “We do plan a meta shift for the snipers for Season 3, I’m happy to say that,” he said. “I think we would all agree it’s long overdue. The sniper meta hasn’t changed in what feels like forever, so I feel really good about where we’re going with that.” He continued: “In Season 3 just in general, regarding your comment about general pacing and second-chance opportunities, that’s really high on our list … In Season 3, there are some really interesting things coming.” With Season 2 nearly over and Season 3 just days away at the time of writing, the Kar98k and Swiss K31 remain among the top 5 most popular weapons in Warzone according to WZRanked. This has been the case for months, but when Season 3 arrives, we could be seeing a massive meta shift. The question is, how do they properly nerf snipers while still making them a rewarding weapon to excel with?

Warzone dev confirms multiple Rytec AMR sniper fixes coming soon – Dexerto
Warzone dev confirms multiple Rytec AMR sniper fixes coming soon Activision[jwplayer mCpsAxNx]The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update debuted the Rytec AMR, but the sniper is plagued with bugs and Infinity Ward has now confirmed fixes are coming. New weapons and current weapon buffs or nerfs always impact a game’s meta, as has been the case in CoD’s Warzone and multiplayer lobbies with players trying to figure out what guns are now strongest. That’s been an even harder task now that people are finding numerous bugs with the Rytec AMR, involving its damage output and leveling. Upon being asked about the Rytec AMR’s inability to knock players with headshots, Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, Joe Cecot, confirmed that a “fix is in the works” for this bug. While the gun can still shred in multiplayer without the interference of pesky armor, this issue devastates its potential in Warzone where bullet drop was already going to make the new sniper hard to choose over the AX-50 and HDR. https://twitter.com/joececot/status/1278198104097873920?s=21 The second bug doesn’t impact the weapon’s performance, but instead how easily players can earn its more coveted attachments. One aspect that sets this sniper apart from the game’s other bolt-action rifles is that it can be loaded with explosive rounds—but it appears that using this kind of ammo negates any experience gained. The gun already takes time to unlock, as you have to get three quickscope kills in 15 different matches, but it will take infinitely longer to level if you intend to use explosive rounds. The Rytec is appealing over the AX-50 and HDR because it can have a much faster ADS, but its damage output and explosive potential are what really help distinguish it from the rest of the game’s snipers and marksman rifles. little glimpse at the new Rytec AMR sniper rifle in action pic.twitter.com/MgujWf4PnO — Dirty (@FaZeDirty) June 30, 2020 Players have obviously been excited to try these unique rounds out, before being dismayed that they seem not to be unlocking any other attachments. This was the case for one Twitter user who reached out to Cecot after dropping EXP tokens on the sniper and still failing to level it up. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1278172159261589506 As Cecot confirms, the explosive round attachment is bugged and prevents players from gaining any experience. While he couldn’t reveal an exact incoming date for the fix, one can assume that Infinity Ward will want to solve these issues sooner rather than later. As the Call of Duty community reacts to Grau and MP5 nerfs, it will be interesting to see if a fixed Rytec AMR can carve out any consideration as a meta weapon in either multiplayer or Warzone.

Warzone dev claims they want to finally “fix” slide canceling – Dexerto
Warzone dev claims they want to finally “fix” slide canceling ActivisionA senior Warzone developer has hinted at possible changes coming to slide canceling in the future, saying that he has been “looking for a good excuse to fix slide canceling for almost a year.” Slide canceling was a lightly-used movement mechanic during the Black Ops 4 season, but with the launch of Modern Warfare and Warzone, it became an essential part of any player’s arsenal if they wanted to improve their game. You’ll be hard pushed to find players wandering around Caldera or Rebirth Island and not slide canceling, keeping their tactical sprint up as much as possible throughout their travels across the maps. Despite this, there has been a lot of criticism over slide canceling and how it affects gameplay in Warzone — and clearly, it’s something the devs are well aware of. While top players such as Aydan and JoeWo have made thousands off of their abilities to pull off insane movement and get the better of their opponents in Warzone, that may not be an option for much longer if this dev gets their way. Raven Software Senior Creative Director Ted Timmins posted about the topic on May 1, saying he wants to find a “fix” for it. Calling it an “exploitable accessibility ceiling,” Timmins said that he has “been looking for a good excuse to fix slide canceling for almost a year now.” I’ve been looking for a good excuse to fix slide canceling for almost a year now, my unused towel can be the sacrifice for the greater good of controllers everywhere. — Ted Timmins (@JustTeddii) May 2, 2022 Warzone players will no doubt be split on this, with two very distinct groups on either side of the debate believing that they are firmly in the right on whether slide canceling is a fair game mechanic. It’s unclear whether removing slide canceling is a realistic possibility for Warzone, or how easy the fix is, but this could be something that the devs are looking at changing ahead of Warzone 2.

Warzone dev admits concern that increasing TTK could hurt “low-skilled players” – Dexerto
Warzone dev admits concern that increasing TTK could hurt “low-skilled players” ActivisionA Warzone developer has admitted that while there have been a lot of discussions around Time to Kill (TTK) in the Call of Duty battle royale, they are concerned that increasing the TTK will hurt low-skilled or “crappy” players more. TTK and health has been a big point of contention in Warzone over the years. Top players welcomed some of the changes that arrived with Iron Trials, which saw a big increase in health and was meant to be a much more difficult task. A faster TTK has typically been attributed to a way for the game can appease less capable players, lowering the skill ceiling to put everyone on a more level playing field. While it’s not been quite that extreme, and the top Warzone players will rarely find themselves struggling against weaker opposition, a dev at Raven Software has confirmed that this really is the case. During a Q&A with streamer and former Call of Duty pro Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow, creative lead Josh Bridge spoke a bit about the TTK concerns and issues. “The concern that we’ve always had, the more you increase the TTK, the concern is you’re raising the skill ceiling,” he explained. “Crappier players just can’t take out better players because it’s too much health to chip away.” He added that “That’s where the fast TTK gives the hope that a low-skilled player may get a random spray,” essentially confirming that the low TTK is primarily as it is to help worse players still get some kills. He went on to say that Iron Trials helped “inform them” of the best options going forward in regular BR. “We feel like that 50 health [increase] is the sweet spot for Warzone, although it deviates from multiplayer games.” So, while the fast TTK might not ever change, there are clearly internal discussions over whether that should be changed, or health increased, going forward. Whether it happens though, only time will tell.

Warzone detective tricks hacker into showing cheats on stream – Dexerto
Warzone detective tricks hacker into showing cheats on stream Activision / BBCA couple of Warzone players are proving to be the human anti-cheat as they went full Sherlock Holmes mode to make a cheater admit to their wrong doings while on stream. If you’ve spent a decent amount of time playing Warzone then you have probably run into a cheater or can identify one when you see it. From shameless hackers on stream to taking trucks in the sky, cheating can get out of hand. However, a group of gamers who were playing in a custom tournament on January 23 set out to be the human anti-cheat. Following some “suspicious” gameplay, some Warzone players went full detective mode and forced this ‘alleged cheater’ into showing their entire stream that they were using hacks. Warzone hacker shows cheats on stream Hacker down with my detective @ParanoidJrr 🕵️ pic.twitter.com/QpPMWod73E — vKreuger (@vKreugerr) January 24, 2022 After Kreugerr and ParanoidJr thought a Warzone player was cheating, they decided to hop in a call and have the fishy player share their screen. The player in question went through a couple of tabs, including their email. This is when they noticed a message from a website that provides cheats. Hewzor tried to play it off as he searched that into Google, “It’s for Battlefield,” he said. However, the Battlefield website wasn’t the same as the email. When they finally got him to click on the proper link, chaos ensued. After loading the cheat website, the hacker was logged into his account. He started to close everything in his browser and when questioned he said, “That’s for f**king hacks for other games.” Instead of answering their question of “what games did you buy hacks for?”, he left the call and deactivated his Twitter account. This proved to the community that this player was indeed a cheater and confirmed their allegations that he was wall hacking in a tournament. At the time of writing this, Hewzor has not been banned on Twitch and he deleted the VOD.

Warzone Deployable Covers have a lot more hidden uses than you’d think – Dexerto
Warzone Deployable Covers have a lot more hidden uses than you’d think Infinity Ward[jwplayer br5AuoVJ]Deployable Covers are probably Warzone’s least exciting Field Upgrades, but Call of Duty players are discovering some new uses that might make the item much more intriguing across Verdansk. Portable cover is useful, but it’s limited and often doesn’t feel worth it compared to finding normal, static cover. These deployable sheets of metal can be destroyed and make you an easy victim, should you try putting one down midfight. While we already knew that they can be used for movement innovation, recent clips have shown their capacity to help against vehicles and campers. The ladder trick is great and a niche, unexpected way to surprise enemies – but that’s not the only way to get a leg up (pun intended) on your opponents using a Deployable Cover. As shown by former professional player and current Call of Duty League on-air talent, Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler, a Deployable Cover can also be used to block off a doorway. While his clip is a little weird, as the enemy is able to comfortably shoot through the closed door somehow, blocking the door off suggests intriguing upside. this is a thing??? dude what ?? pic.twitter.com/KomqgA8ZpI — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) July 31, 2020 NAMELESS’ clip means Deployable Covers have the potential to be used in both aggressive and defensive manners. On the offensive, players can block off potential doorway exits to surprisingly trap campers more effectively. Meanwhile, on the defensive, deploying those useful sheets of metal could help someone ensure enemies only have limited ways of reaching them, should they decide to camp a room out. Deployable Covers last 10 minutes, so one could theoretically finish three Most Wanted contracts with ease in that time. The third use for this field upgrade is also quite inventive. As shown by ‘xiMontyx’ on Reddit, a Deployable Cover can completely stop a vehicle in its tracks—halting the zooming pile of dangerous metal and opening up possibilities for your team. While the vehicle does seem to break the cover, it only does so after being stopped completely. This means opponents either need to jump out and fight, or risk being gunned down or C4’d by your team as they try to regain speed. Trophy Systems and Dead Silences will typically be Warzone’s most appealing Field Upgrades, but these crafty usages for Deployable Covers are worth keeping in mind as players look to get a leg up on their competition in Verdansk.

Warzone demon reveals underrated MP7 loadout with faster TTK than OTs 9 – Dexerto
Warzone demon reveals underrated MP7 loadout with faster TTK than OTs 9 ActivisionThe Warzone close-range meta has been dominated by the OTs 9 but this demon on Rebirth Island reveals an underrated MP7 loadout with a faster TTK. When it comes to Warzone, customization is one of the biggest aspects of the game as there are over 100 weapons in the game. While certain weapons are better than others, players still have the option to use off-meta guns and build the perfect loadout. This YouTuber does just that in his latest video, revealing that the Modern Warfare MP7 is actually a menace on Rebirth Island. Warzone demon reveals insane Rebirth Island MP7 loadout As seen in the picture above, this MP7 is a lot different than other submachine guns. Here are the attachments: Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: Tac Laser – Stock: No Stock – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Magazine: 60 Round Mags – Warzone YouTuber, Klubo, claims that this class is one of the best on Rebirth Island right now and is really good at downing enemies up close. The Merc Foregrip paired up with the No Stock creates the perfect balance. The grip gives the MP7 great recoil control but slows down the ADS time. However, the stock gives the weapons faster movement and ADS speed to counteract this. In his YouTube video, Klubo goes full demon mode, dropping 37 kills with this loadout. His gameplay shows the diversity in this weapon as it shreds up close and can hang in long-range gunfights. When taking his loadout and comparing it to the meta OTs 9 loadout, you can see where the TTK lines up against it. According to TrueGameData, this MP7 dominates from 10 meters and closer. While the OTs have more longevity in the medium range, the MP7 has a better TTK when up close and personal. The MP7 has way less fall-off damage within 10 meters, which can make it a lot more viable than the OTs 9, especially when constantly taking gunfights on Rebirth Island. Even with Vanguard integration Rebirth Island is here to stay so next time you drop into the fast-paced map, you may want to give this MP7 a go and see if you can drop a personal record.

Warzone demon proves High Alert perk is “broken” with No Audio challenge – Dexerto
Warzone demon proves High Alert perk is “broken” with No Audio challenge ActivisionWarzone’s High Alert perk has fallen to the wayside in favor of its competitors in the Season 3 Reloaded but one notable demon-on-the-sticks has proven that it’s just as strong as ever after a wild No Audio challenge. For the last two years, Joseph ‘JoeWo’ Wohala has been a dominant force in the Warzone scene. On top of regularly competing with the best players in the game, the 24-year-old streamer has also amassed over 400,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel where he attempts to help other players reach his skill level. In this edition, NRG’s resident demon explained that High Alert can absolutely be the difference maker when it comes to close Warzone games, and then showed off the footage to prove it. JoeWo proves High Alert is one of Warzone’s best perks In a June 12 video, JoeWo took on the challenge of winning a match while using High Alert, and to back up his claim about it being broken, the veteran streamer cut off his audio entirely. Despite this, he was still able to rack up a 22 kill win while his precious headset laid in the floor behind his chair the entire time. It didn’t take long in the game for the perk’s benefits to start making a huge impact. Even in the first gunfight, he found himself stuck between two players who forced him to split his attention. Thanks to the metaphorical safety blanket of High Alert though, it wasn’t too tough to know which enemy need to take priority and the Warzone demon clutched it out. After collecting some plates off his fallen foes, Joe pointed out just how crucial the extra information was to staying alive “I can’t even lie, that saved me…like it saved me a lot,” he said. There is still a downside to running the perk though, and it’s the same fatal flaw that Combat Scout suffers from: one player running Cold Blooded can put an end to your operation without much of a problem. Of course, personal talent level can help make up some of that difference and Mr. Wo proved to be far too good to let that kind of inconvenience slow him down. By the end of the match, Joe walked away an even bigger believer than ever before and thinks other people should be jumping on this wave.

Warzone demon JoeWo reveals underrated loadout to dethrone MP-40 meta – Dexerto
Warzone demon JoeWo reveals underrated loadout to dethrone MP-40 meta Activision / JoeWoThe Warzone Pacific close-range meta has been dominated by the MP-40, but JoeWo has revealed an underrated and unique build that turns an assault rifle into a deadly SMG loadout. With Vanguard integration, Warzone received over 40 new weapons into its arsenal. These guns can have 10 attachments each which leads to endless loadout combinations. This has streamers like JoeWo trying to come up with the best build possible and his latest hybrid creation turns the Volk into a close-range menace that could overthrow the popular MP-40. JoeWo reveals Warzone SMG loadout for Volk As seen in the picture, JoeWo takes this assault rifle and uses attachments that make this gun extremely mobile like a submachine gun. Here is every attachment he uses: Muzzle: Recoil Boosted – Barrel: Krausnick 428MM 05V – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: SA Converted – Underbarrel: M3 Ready Grip – Magazine: 7.62 Russian Gorenko 40 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Incendiary – Rear Grip: Fabric Grip – Proficiency: Fleet – Kit: On-Hand – For those wondering how this is a SMG build, it’s due to the combination of SA Converted and the Fabric Grip. These two attachments give the Volk insane sprint to fire time, as well as hipfire accuracy. In his gameplay, the movement king, JoeWo shows just how slippery you can be on the map with this loadout. The Volk, which is usually known for medium-range gunfights, is destroying enemies up close just like the MP-40. According to WZRanked, the MP-40 currently ranks as the most picked weapon in all of Warzone but JoeWo sniffs a nerf coming in the future. He said, “This gun [Volk] felt insane as a sub… and when that [MP-40] gets nerfed, I really do think this Volk secondary will be meta.” Warzone devs did announce that “many updates” are in the works and will be coming in the near future, so this could certainly shift the meta and see the likes of the Volk rise from 52nd most picked, to the top 10.

Warzone demon JoeWo accused of “cheating” after humiliating player with Stim movement – Dexerto
Warzone demon JoeWo accused of “cheating” after humiliating player with Stim movement Activision / JoeWoWarzone pro JoeWo has been deemed the ‘Movement King’ as he’s known to maneuver differently than others. Thanks to his own tweet, the menace is being accused of cheating after embarrassing a player with the Stim mechanic. There are many elements in Warzone that players need to master in order to compete with the best of the best. Movement is one of the most important aspects of the battle royale. More specifically, the Stim Boost tactic, added with the Pacific update, allows you to run at super speeds and slide around quicker. The Movement King himself, JoeWo has praised this and called it the best thing ever. Now, he puts this mechanic on full display and has the community yelling “Worldstar.” Warzone streamer JoeWo breaks enemy’s ankles with Stim What you telling your friends if you get gunned like this? 😳 (👿: @AverageJoeWo)pic.twitter.com/9YHJobvATk — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 3, 2022 In a clip from February 3, JoeWo was playing Rebirth Island when he met his victim and broke their ankles. You can see, right before he goes to challenge, he popped his Stim, which gave him extra movement speed. Then it’s pure pandemonium for his foe as Joe slides back and forth a couple of times before humiliating this player and putting them on social media. You can hear the deathcom, “Oh you are cheating man.” Joe replied in disbelief, just saying “cheating!” over and over. While some people threw the cheating accusations, Twitter user ‘F1FTY’ said he was only able to do this because of “PC advantage.” However, the Movement King uses a controller as his input, which means there wasn’t a mouse and keyboard edge here, just pure finesse. Players were mindblown by this play. Former CoD champion ZooMaa said, “you’re an animal,” while others chimed in, “straight skated on him, oh my goodness.” There’s a reason JoeWo’s movement is respected by many throughout the Warzone community and this clip may be one for the hall of fame.

Warzone demon highlights “toxic” loadouts to use for free wins in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone demon highlights “toxic” loadouts to use for free wins in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone can be a tough nut to crack when it comes to scoring wins but YouTuber and renowned demon Chamu has collected some of the most toxic picks that will make catching a Season 4 W that much easier. YouTuber LuckyChamu is always showing off Warzone loadouts of some kind. From the most-effective to the most mind-boggling, the young star always brings something fun to the table. This time he’s compiled the most headache-inducing combinations from around the internet and tried them out to see which one comes out on top. Here are some of the most offensive loadouts that the content creator could roundup in Season 4. Warzone’s most toxic Season 4 loadouts There are a couple of familiar entries on the list, like classic RPGs or the Streetsweeper shotgun, but there also some more creative alternatives. One of the more unique options is a version of the classic M4A1 that drops one of its staple attachments in favor of the M203 40mm Flash launcher. Instead of jumping into fights with reckless abandon and relying on skill alone, this setup allows for a little bit of flash grenade spam to disorient enemies before engaging. However, it’s not just a gimmick, the M4 has always been a viable pick as a primary AR, so the resulting fights should be easy to clean up. Another oddball pick is a Jak-12 loadout that was discovered by FaZe Swagg. This shotgun was deemed broken for much of Season 3, with many players claiming it was just as good as the Gallo shotgun that the devs nerfed into oblivion last year. The overall build hasn’t changed much, but Chamu did pair it with a Mk11 grenade launcher to take things to a new level of frustrating. Some of these loadouts are better suited for Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island, but they’ll still work on Caldera, meaning that fans of all maps can take advantage of these builds for a tick-up in their winrate.

Warzone demon gun glitch still impacting Vanguard nine months after launch – Dexerto
Warzone demon gun glitch still impacting Vanguard nine months after launch ActivisionWarzone’s infamous ‘demon gun glitch,’ a bizarre texture issue morphing weapons into indecipherable objects, has spread across into CoD Vanguard and is still impacting even new camos nine months out from launch. Arguably the most iconic Warzone bug in the game’s brief history is the demon gun glitch. At various stages throughout both Verdansk and Caldera, this confusing problem has left players unable to shoot straight due to insane texture issues on their weapon of choice. While the bug was initially limited to the Battle Royale itself, it soon spread into the latest mainline release. Just weeks after Vanguard launched at the tail end of 2021 and the community reported this particular gripe had transferred across to the new multiplayer game. Although dozens of updates have since looked to squash various bugs across the board, the demon gun glitch appears to live on nine months after launch. In the midst of a casual multiplayer game on August 14, Reddit user ‘EPURON’ encountered the glitch. Attempting to aim down sights with their weapon prove all but pointless as textures clogged much of the screen and obscured their view. With the bug in effect, hipfire was seemingly the most effective strategy, even with a long-range AR in hand. Amusingly enough, the bug only grew more out of control in a killcam after the player ran out in the open. From the opposing POV, nothing but random, jittery textures filled the screen. This particular instance of the glitch occurred with a relatively new Blueprint in hand, one themed around Season 3’s Godzilla vs Kong event. It just so happened to be the first time this player ran into the “ridiculous” issue on Vanguard, they revealed. So even with multiple seasons having been and gone, a number of sizable updates deployed to fix key issues, and Vanguard’s time in the sun almost coming to an end, the demon gun glitch is still in effect to some degree. As Modern Warfare 2 draws near, it’s only a matter of time before a majority of the CoD player base jumps to the latest title. Whether Sledgehammer will fix this Vanguard bug in time, however, remains to be seen.

Warzone demon FaZe Booya shows off mindblowing “Milano AR” loadout – Dexerto
Warzone demon FaZe Booya shows off mindblowing “Milano AR” loadout ActivisionFor every Rebirth Island demon that’s out there, Warzone star FaZe Booya has shared a new Milano class that’s more versatile than any other gun in the game. Submachine guns have been an integral part of Warzone in nearly every incarnation of the meta. Whether in the old Modern Warfare MP5 era or the current reign of Vanguard’s MP40, there has never been a bad time to have an SMG to support your long-distance weapon of choice. That’s especially true if your SMG can double as an assault rifle like the one Booya runs in Rebirth. FaZe Booya turns Warzone’s Milano into an AR The high-powered SMG was already known for being good at intermediate ranges but this build takes that to a new level. Booya’s loadout focuses exclusively on keeping recoil low and damage high via a few familiar attachments. Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 10.6″ Task Force – Optic: 3x Axial Arms – Magazine: STANAG 55 Rd Drum – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – Everything starts with the 10.6″ Task Force barrel and the Agency Suppressor. These two act as the true base for your gameplay. Since the Milano is going to get outworked by guns like the Grau or Cooper Carbine in true long-distance fights, this class works best when taking fights at intermediate distances. What makes this build so powerful is that using a submachine gun as your AR makes you both faster on your feet and more prepared for up-close fights than the opposition. Smart players can take advantage of this additional speed and versatility and constantly reposition themselves without ever having to switch weapons and risk giving up their downfield fighting potential. This isn’t a pick that’s likely to shake up the meta but it is a viable option for players looking to try a new take on a classic Warzone weapon.

Content creator FaZe Booya, is one of the most praised Rebirth players in the community as he is constantly coming up with unique builds. Booya continues to throw the meta back to older Warzone weapons and instead of using Cold War’s Bullfrog, he’s created a sick loadout with MW’s CX-9. Warzone prodigy Booya shows Rebirth Island CX-9 loadout If you’re just looking for Booya’s setup and don’t need to see him gameplay to validate this class, here’s his full CX-9 setup with attachments: Barrel: CX-38S – Laser: 5mW Laser – Underbarrel: MercForegrip – Stock: CX-FR – Ammunition: 50 Round Drums – In this build he uses the CX-38S as it works as a long barrel and has a suppressor built into the attachment. He also has the 5mW Laser and CX-FR to make the gun a hip-fire machine on the map. Booya’s gameplay speaks for itself but this class makes him look even better than usual. Once the FaZe content creator got his hands on his loadout it was over for the enemies. He uses the CX-9 to single handedly take over Prison. From his YouTube video you can see that he patiently waits for enemies to fire some bullets and then utilizes the gun’s movement speed to fly at them. Since the SMG has 50 bullets, he is able to do this multiple times without reloading. It’s important to note that this loadout excels when you start firing before aiming down sights. Even though this gun isn’t soaring with popularity, Booya claims it’s one of the best and only underused due to it being from Modern Warfare 19.

Warzone demon Booya dominates Rebirth Island with CDL Volk loadout – Dexerto
Warzone demon Booya dominates Rebirth Island with CDL Volk loadout Booya / Activision / CDLWarzone star Booya has been known for taking unique weapons and shredding with them. At CDL Major 2, Guerrillas sub Spart brought out the Volk for the first time and now Booya is showing how overpowered it can be on Rebirth Island. With the removal of Vanguard Royale, the meta is wide open and every gun is back on the table as Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons can be used. However, Booya decided to bring out a new discovery that hails from the competitive side of Vanguard. During CDL Major 2, the Volk rose up as one of the best guns in the game and Booya wanted to give it a shot in Warzone, which turned out to be a demon. Booya shreds on Warzone with CDL Volk loadout If you haven’t seen the setup for the Volk, we have listed it down below. It is important to note that he has made a couple of alterations as CDL Gentlemen Agreements (GAs) don’t apply in Warzone. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Krausnick 428MM 05V – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Reisdorf 22V Adjustable – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Proficiency: Fleet – Kit: On-Hand – The only changes that he made from the CDL loadout are the Recoil Booster and Lengethed attachment as FMJ Rounds are not strong in Warzone. He also added the 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags. Since all magazine attachments are GA’d in CDL play, Spart’s Volk did not have one equipped. From Booya’s gameplay you can see how strong this Volk can be in the battle royale environment as well. With the 40 bullet attachment it can be just as good as the MP-40 and Welgun that have been go-to weapons. “It’s honestly not bad, It’s more of an SMG, AR Hybrid and it’s really good up close.” Booya thinks that this gun can be extremely viable when it comes to short-range fights and shines as a sniper support on Rebirth.

Warzone demon Booya breaks out new MW MP5 loadout perfect for Rebirth – Dexerto
Warzone demon Booya breaks out new MW MP5 loadout perfect for Rebirth ActivisionFaZe Booya is arguably one of the flashiest players when it comes to Warzone. The menace is constantly tearing up the competition on Rebirth Island and he’s created a new loadout for the classic Modern Warfare MP5. Submachine guns are easily one of the best choices for a loadout on Rebirth. The close-quarters map calls for plenty of close-range fights. This has Booya leaning toward weapons that allow him to fly at enemies and melt them in the blink of an eye. Instead of being a “rat camper” the Warzone demon has created a Modern Warfare MP5 class that’s built to shred anyone in sight. Booya reveals new Warzone MW MP5 loadout If you’re someone that just wants the setup to hop into a game, then we have listed the attachments down below for you. Laser: 5mW Laser – Stock: FTAC Collapsible – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags – Perk: Sleight of Hand – Booya explains this build is a “really good hip-fire” machine, as well as allowing your character to move around the map quickly. This is extremely important for Rebirth is you are constantly moving and looking for gunfights. Read More: Dr Disrespect, TimTheTatman, Nadeshot, more spark heated debate over “most fun” Call of Duty – He shows off the strengths of this class in a YouTube video and said, “i was solid two years ago and it’s still solid to this day as one of the best SMGs in the game.” In his gameplay, you can see this gun in action and to no surprise, the MP5 is still one of the best guns in all of Warzone. He pops plenty of multi-kills and maneuvers around the map quickly. While Rebirth is set to undergo some changes in the Season 2 Reloaded update, it’s likely that this gun will still be extremely viable. Since most weapon balancing is focused on Vanguard guns, it’s not expected for this to see a nerf anytime soon.

Warzone demon Booya breaks out new MW AUG loadout to dominate Rebirth – Dexerto
Warzone demon Booya breaks out new MW AUG loadout to dominate Rebirth Activision / BooyaOne of Warzone’s greatest Rebirth Island players, Faze Booya, has finally hopped on the Modern Warfare AUG train and brought a new loadout that is perfect – despite the gun’s low ammo capacity. Rebirth Island stars around the world have definitely checked out a loadout or two from Booya. The Nuke Squad member is considered one of the great Rebirth players and is always bringing meta loadouts to the mode. Whether it’s an Iron Trails class for competitive players or even a classic Nail Gun, he is finding unique weapons to clap enemies with on the fast-paced map. While many in the community got on the MW AUG wave back in October of 2021, Booya never liked that gun until now. Booya reveals Modern Warfare AUG loadout for Rebirth If you’re just looking for the new loadout and want to hop straight into a game, then we have listed Booya’s setup down below. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 5.56 NATO 60 Round Drums – Perk: Sleight of Hand – The big change with this setup is the use of the Commando Foregrip, which extremely helps the weapon’s recoil control. He also uses Sleight of Hand and Booya thinks is this vital for the build since it only has 30 bullets in a clip. He shows off this mechanic in a YouTube video, and to no surprise he makes it look like one of the best guns in the game. With the AR bullet attachment, this gun is effective in short-to-medium range, which makes it a great option for a primary gun on the smaller map. Booya pairs it up with the Kar98k to create a deadly duo on the island. So, next time you hop into a Rebirth game or even Iron Trials, give this a shot and see if it’s as dominant as advertised.

Warzone demon Biffle wins $10k bet from NBA player by clutching absurd 1v4 – Dexerto
Warzone demon Biffle wins $10k bet from NBA player by clutching absurd 1v4 Twitter, @LuckyChamu / ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone star Diaz Biffle is making the most out of his last remaining days on Verdansk. Given a nearly impossible $10,000 challenge by the NBA’s Dennis Schroder, Biff clutched up an absurd match to secure the cash. Picture this. It’s late at night, you’re down bad in the Gulag, the last player alive from your Quad, with around 40 enemies remaining. And then you find out that an NBA player is willing to give you $10,000 if you win the game single-handedly. That’s the position Diaz Biffle was put in on December 8. To celebrate the last days on Verdansk and the wintry holidays, Boston Celtic Dennis Schroder decided to test Biff’s ice. He learned of the challenge with his teammates dead and 13 other teams remaining in the Quads game. But you don’t become one of Warzone’s highest-ranked players by shying away from unideal odds. Don’t res anybody. You have $10,000 if you win this game, from Dennis — Dennis Schroder.” Biff’s duo, SuperEvan, responded first with a “wait what?” And then Biff asked Repullze to repeat himself, before wondering why he only got to find out once he was already in Gulag. But winning your ones is the foundation of CoD excellence and Biff won his 1v1 Gulag. Then he dropped back down, got loadout, and proceeded to clutch up. Then he dropped back into the danger zone as a solo surrounded by enemy teams and picked up another four eliminations. Finally, it was him against a full four-man squad. Biffle patiently worked through the gas, earning positioning for the price of half his health. So, spot secured, Biff lined up his EM2 shots, mixed in the OTs 9, and proceeded to clutch up. Four nasty kills later, he had 35 kills, a “Warzone Victory” screen, and $10,000 on the way to his bank account.

Warzone December 9 update: Vanguard gun changes, EM2, OTS 9 nerfs, patch notes – Dexerto
Warzone December 9 update: Vanguard gun changes, EM2, OTS 9 nerfs, patch notes Raven SoftwareThe latest Warzone update is here, days after Vanguard’s Season 1 changes shook up the Call of Duty battle royale, and the December 9 patch notes boast another huge list of changes — Raven Software has nerfed the OTS 9 again, targeted “unfun” melee weapons, and more. OTS 9 cops second round of Warzone nerfs – Raven looking to tone down “unfun” melee weapons – Vanguard guns get name changes, stat tweaks – Warzone has entered its “new era” via a huge CoD Vanguard-fuelled tropical update on December 8, with the battle royale finally adding a new map. Alongside these massive in-game changes, ranging from the pacific Caldera battlefield to new vehicles, perks, events, and weapons, Raven Software has been looking to change up the Warzone meta, which has been dominated by a number of standouts over the past few months. The devs have moved to do just that with these new Warzone changes. In total, the December 9 patch has hit nearly two dozen Warzone guns and attachments. Read on for all the changes in Season 1’s first major balance update. OTS 9, Sniper Rifles headline 19 gun changes Raven Software has made a number of changes to Warzone weapons and attachments as they look to wrangle the meta back under control amid Season 1’s game-changing launch. First and foremost, the Warzone devs have hit the OTS 9 submachine gun again, after originally bumping down its numbers back in mid-September. The little pocket rocket dominated the battle royale post-Black Ops Cold War release, and the September 15 nerfs did little to change its power. They wrote: “The OTs 9 has ruled over the short-range space for some time and [nerfs] will come as no surprise. While it is sad to see our favorites take a hit, we feel the pool of viable short-range guns will benefit from this change.” Other meta weapons like the Kar98k and Swiss K31 snipers, Black Ops Cold War’s EM2 rifle, and the Gallo SA12 shotgun have all been nerfed too. Melee weapons too “unfun” to avoid nerfs “Unfun” melee weapons, including the Baseball Bat, Battle Axe, Cane, and Mace have all been hit in the patch too. “Dying to melee weapons can often feel unfair (and unfun),” the Warzone devs wrote. “Lunge distances could push some Melee Weapons over the edge when combined with the ability to achieve Melee Finisher damage in only two hits – giving Players only a few hundred milliseconds to react. “As a result, even fully kitted Players could feel out-muscled in close quarters, which simply should not happen. Players wielding Melee Weapons will now be much less threatening granted there is not an overabundance of missed shots.” These nerfs to lunge distances range from 38% to 47% for all but the Ballistic Knife, which copped major damage buffs via arm, leg, and torso hits. Below are the full Warzone patch notes, courtesy of Raven Software. It’s worth noting too, the battle royale devs have already flagged that they are already planning another “imminent update” that will take a closer look at Warzone’s gun bloom, and will likely include several sweeping nerfs for the gun feature. It will also include PPSh-41 nerfs. These weapon changes are now live in the Call of Duty battle royale, and may require players to install a small update over the next 24 hours. Warzone Dec. 9 patch notes Gun Changes Numerous changes have been made to Vanguard (VG) weapons and attachments. Names, descriptions, pros, cons, and stat bars have been updated in-game to reflect these changes. In addition to the above mentioned Vanguard changes, the following Modern Warfare (MW) and Black Ops Cold War (BOCW) weapon adjustments have been made: Assault Rifle AK-47 (BOCW) Initial Recoil Deviation increased – – EM2 (BOCW) Neck Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.1, up from 1.2 – Recoil Magnitude increased – Recoil Deviation increased – – Marksman Rifle Crossbow (MW) Neck Damage increased to 250, up from 200 – Upper Torso Damage increased to 240, up from 200 – Lower Torso Damage increased to 220, up from 200 – – Marksman Rifle Charlie (MW) Flinch Resistance decreased by 62% – – R1 Shadowhunter (BOCW) Neck Damage increased to 250, up from 200 – Upper Torso Damage increased to 240, up from 200 – Lower Torso Damage increased to 220, up from 200 – – Melee Ballistic Knife (BOCW) Upper Torso Damage increased to 248, up from 246 – Lower Torso Damage increased to 225, up from 195 – Upper Arm Damage increased to 200, up from 180 – Lower Arm Damage increased to 190, up from 180 – Upper Leg Damage increased to 200, up from 160 – Lower Leg Damage increased to 190, up from 160 – – Baseball Bat (BOCW) Lunge Distance decreased by 47% – – Battle Axe (BOCW) Lunge Distance decreased by 38% – – Cane (BOCW) Lunge Distance decreased by 46% – – Mace (BOCW) Lunge Distance decreased by 42% – – Shotgun Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) Movement Speed decreased by 1.2% – ADS Movement Speed decreased by 8.6% – – Sniper Rifle Swiss K31 (BOCW) Flinch Resistance decreased by 62% – – Submachine Gun OTs 9 (BOCW) Maximum Damage decreased to 30, down from 31 – Headshot Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.33, down from 1.52 – – Submachine Gun Alpha (BOCW) Maximum Damage decreased to 20, down from 31 – Headshot Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.41, down from 1.45 – – Submachine Gun Charlie (MW) Fire Rate decreased to .08, down from .075 – Sprint to Fire Speed decreased by 2.6% – Note: These changes only affect Warzone. – – Attachments Optic G16 2.5x (VG) Assault Rifles Eye position shifted forward – – – Assault Rifles – Stock Raider Stock (BOCW) Movement Speed modifiers decreased by 25% – – SAS Combat Stock (BOCW) Movement Speed modifiers decreased by 25% – – Bug Fixes Fixed collision issues with various elements across Caldera allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them. – Fixed an issue allowing access to items that Players weren’t supposed to see yet! – For more information on live issues, visit the Warzone Trello Board. – NOTE: An imminent update will further address Warzone’s Bloom and include adjustments to Weapons including the PPSh-41 (VG).

Warzone December 19 update: Cooper Carbine nerf, BAR changes, patch notes – Dexerto
Warzone December 19 update: Cooper Carbine nerf, BAR changes, patch notes ActivisionWarzone Season 1 brought new weaponry to the game including the Cooper Carbine which quickly rose to a meta gun. However, in a December 19 update, devs nerfed it along with the BAR. Check out the full patch notes. The Cooper Carbine was released on December 8 and immediately has become one of the most picked weapons in the game according to WZRanked. Due to its quick rise to fame, Raven Software have gone ahead and hit this with a hefty nerf, lowering its damage. The Carbine wasn’t the only assault rifle that was weakened in this patch. Another top AR, the BAR received a couple of attachment changes making it harder to control the recoil. Warzone Cooper Carbine and BAR nerfed In an effort to help balance out the assault rifle class, Raven Software have reduced the damage as well as the ADS speed on the Cooper Carbine. This weapon has been dominating both public matches and LANs. Another weapon, the BAR has was hit with attachment nerfs to increase the recoil on the rifle. This has been deemed “the best assault rifle” by Swagg and others so it’s not surprising to see this changed. You can check out the full patch notes below. Warzone Dec. 19 full patch notes Bug Fixes & Gameplay The Firesale Public Event has been adjusted to last a fixed duration. – Fixed collision issues with various elements across Caldera allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them. – Fixed an issue causing the Festive Fervor Event Challenges to not track progress. – Fixed an issue causing additional placeholder images to appear in various Store Bundle previews and/or purchases. – Fixed an issue causing placeholder text to appear on various Store Bundles. – Fixed an issue causing placeholder text to appear underneath Unlock Criteria XP Bar for locked Vehicles. – Fixed an issue causing some Store Bundles to appear with the incorrect Rarity label. – Fixed an issue causing the Festive Deals discount to not apply when gifting a Store Bundle to another Player. – Fixed an issue causing visually incorrect pricing on some Store Bundles. – Fixed an issue where the “Space Issue” Submachine Gun Charlie (VG) Blueprint was incorrectly displaying Vital instead of the Brace Gun Perk. – When considering these changes in a vacuum, they may seem rather peculiar. Due to the nature of Vanguard Weapons, tuning is much less straightforward. Adjustments to base Weapons are not as impactful as they once were. Vanguard Attachments can completely alter the behavior of a Weapon—including its Damage profile, Fire Rate, and Recoil. When we make these adjustments, we are considering the Weapon holistically, in all its permutations. Our goal is for these Weapons to be just as viable with one of these Attachments as it can be with all of them. This allows the Weapons to support all sorts of playstyles and gameplay preferences rather than solely ‘Rapid Fire’. » Assault Rifle « Cooper Carbine (VG) Maximum Damage decreased to 24, down from 25 – Minimum Damage decreased to 19, down from 20 – ADS Speed decreased by 5.3% – – We understand those who have taken a liking to the Cooper Carbine (VG) will be sad to see it receive some rather impactful adjustments (see additional changes in Attachment section below). The Cooper Carbine (VG) with all Fire Rate Attachments could reach near 1,200 RPM. Which, considering its innate accuracy and Assault Rifle Damage Range, was problematic. High Rate of Fire Weapons, of which many Vanguard Weapons can become, must be carefully tuned to offset the extreme level of forgiveness that trait provides. We believe in that regard, there is much work ahead of us. The Cooper Carbine (VG) is still going to be effective but is now more likely to lose fights to Submachine Guns in short-range engagements. » Barrel « Assault Rifle Charlie (BAR VG) CGC 27” 2B Horizontal Recoil Control decreased by 5% – Vertical Recoil Control decreased by 5% – – CGC 30” XL Horizontal Recoil Control decreased by 5% – Vertical Recoil Control decreased by 5% – – – CGC 27” 2B – As stated above, changes to Weapons and Attachments are not quite what they used to be. While we are reducing the amount of Recoil Control provided by these Barrels, this can easily be compensated for with other Attachments like Fore and Rear Grips. It may require popular builds to shift around somewhat, and as a result, other downsides like poor Mobility may become more apparent. We feel balancing risk versus reward is important. If each Weapon build were ‘one size fits all’, regardless of individual skill, we diminish our journey of mastery. Ideally, over time we graduate from needing an excess of Recoil Control from our attachments to prioritizing more beneficial attributes like Damage, Range, and Mobility. Cooper Carbine (VG) 14” Gracey Rapid Now multiplies Damage by .9 – Now multiplies Headshot Damage by 1.07 – Now multiplies Upper Torso Damage by .99 – Now increases Vertical Recoil by 5% – – – 14” Gracey Rapid – » Magazine « Assault Rifle Charlie (BAR VG) 8mm Klauser 30 Round Mags Horizontal Recoil Control decreased by 4% – Vertical Recoil Control decreased by 4% – – .50 BMG 30 Round Mags Horizontal Recoil Control decreased by 4% – Vertical Recoil Control decreased by 4% – – – 8mm Klauser 30 Round Mags – Cooper Carbine (VG) 9mm 60 Round Drums Damage Multiplier increased to .96, up from .89 – Move Speed decreased by 2% – – – 9mm 60 Round Drums –

Warzone December 10 update: Bloom removed, Vanguard SMG changes, patch notes – Dexerto
Warzone December 10 update: Bloom removed, Vanguard SMG changes, patch notes ActivisionThe newest Warzone update is here just a couple of days after the launch of Season 1 and Vanguard integration. With this, the devs are finally removing bloom from weapons and changing up a handful of submachine guns. Bloom being removed on all Vanguard weapons in the future – Vanguard SMGs seeing massive change – Attachments tuned to fit bloom change – The new season of Warzone brought a huge overhaul to the battle royale on December 8. With 40 new weapons, a fresh map, and countless nerfs the game is changing as we know it. Once again, Raven Software are patching the game with their biggest announcement yet. Bloom, which was spotted on Vanguard weapons, is being tweaked heavily and the devs added, “In the future, we will be removing Bloom from Vanguard Weapons entirely.” On top of that, five Vanguard SMGs received changes, along with a bunch of attachments being adjusted now that the team is working to remove bloom. You can check out the full patch notes here. Bloom being removed from Warzone The December 10 update patch notes were highlighted as Raven informed players that they have heavily reduced the effects of bloom on all Vanguard weapons. They also said that they are working toward removing it permanently, but that will take some time. Bloom is a mechanic that adds a random element into the spread of your bullets when firing them from a weapon. Some have argued that this removes the skill gap as there is no easy way to control recoil on weapons. Vanguard SMGs and attachment changes in Warzone A total of five Vanguard submachine guns were hit with changes in this patch, three of them receiving nerfs. The M1912, PPSh-41, and Sten all saw its damage get reduced while the Owen Gun and Type 100 got damage buffs. Also, to fit in with the bloom change a handful of attachments were altered as recoil control is going to become easier in Warzone Pacific. You can find a full list of those below. Warzone Dec. 10 full patch notes General Reduced the volume of aerial gameplay elements such as Fighter Planes, Bombing Runs, and Airstrike Killstreaks. – Gameplay Fighter Planes are no longer able to -target parachuting Players. – Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where Vanguard Operators Levels would begin at 0 instead of 1. – Fixed an issue causing players to be kicked for inactivity while using the static Anti-Aircraft Gun. – Fixed an issue causing players bought back by teammates to return without access to Weapons or their fists – For more information on live issues, please visit our Warzone Trello Board. Weapons The M1928 (VG), also known as Submachine Gun Alpha (VG), has been changed to M1912 (VG) – With this update, we have drastically reduced the amount of ‘Bloom’ on all base Vanguard Weapons. In the future, we will be removing Bloom from Vanguard Weapons entirely. This process will take time, as we will need to determine adequate downsides to counterbalance the removal of Bloom, which will vary based on each individual Weapon and the type of Attachment they are attributed to. In addition, we are in the process of assessing Weapon ADS Speeds across Warzone. Stay tuned for more information. Warzone Dec 18 update patch notes: MW Tokens change & weapon adjustments – Dexerto
Warzone Dec 18 update patch notes: MW Tokens change & weapon adjustments ActivisionRaven Software have pushed out a brand new update for Warzone and it seems to address some of the biggest complaints since the game’s December 16 Black Ops Cold War integration. The studio confirms that Modern Warfare XP tokens have been re-enabled for Warzone and that weapon adjustments are deploying, alongside a variety of bug fixes. Black Ops Cold War’s Warzone Season 1 was just released a few days ago and we already have the second update for the game since then. According to Raven, this patch will fix a number of different issues in Warzone, including one of the most talked about aspects since its “relaunch.” Many players were livid when they found out that they couldn’t use their hard-earned Double XP tokens from Modern Warfare and Warzone in Season 1, so those have now been re-enabled. Further, while official patch notes remain unavailable, fans seem to have discovered that this patch’s “weapon adjustments” could impact the Warzone meta by buffing Black Ops Cold War gun range. There’s also, of course, some standard patch stuff here to break down. Here’s what you need to know. 📄 #Warzone patch going live soon! – Enabled use of previously earned Modern Warfare / Warzone XP tokens (see thread for details) – Selecting “Randomize All” option for emblems should work as intended – Seasonal Progression Challenges will now show correct preview images …— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) December 18, 2020 Warzone Dec 18 early patch notes Easily the most visible change with this update is the ability to use old Double XP tokens earned during the game’s Modern Warfare era. When the Black Ops Cold War integration happened on December 16, many fans were annoyed by the fact that Raven had removed all previous double XP tokens earned beforehand. After a ton of outcry from the community, Raven has decided to reenable them. According to the devs, any leftover tokens earned during the Modern Warfare era will be usable in both MW and Warzone going forward but not Black Ops Cold War. In addition, any tokens earned in the foreseeable future will only be usable in Warzone and BOCW. In addition, Raven also made some other changes to the game. The developer has hidden weapon challenges for guns that don’t exist in-game yet, which allowed players to see some upcoming DLC, and there have also been some weapon adjustments, although what those changes are specifically have yet to be announced. The new Warzone update appears to increase the Damage Range for Agency Suppressor Attachment on Black Ops Cold War guns in Warzone. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) December 18, 2020 According to some initial investigating, however, it appears that the Agency Suppressor (which is only available on Black Ops Cold War weapons) has had its damage range buffed (with some reports of recoil control improvements as well). Beyond that, however, there’s no other details about the weapon adjustments as of the time of this writing. We’ll update this story once new information becomes available. All in all, it’s nice to see Raven supporting the game so much and releasing new updates so quickly. Here’s hoping the full extent of this patch becomes available soon, as the community has been hoping for more weapon changes (looking at you R9-0 shotgun) since the Season 1 update.

With that integration, of course, there are bound to be some bugs and some problematic new weapons that are making Warzone players lose their minds. Luckily, the developer has made quick moves to fix some of the biggest problems in Season 1 in the latest patch notes. MTZ, DG & Bas-B nerfs There have been plenty of weapon nerfs in the week since MW3’s weapons were integrated into Warzone, but three in particular stand out. The DG-56, one of the most powerful new ARs in the game, has been tuned down with it’s max damage dropping to 32 from 40. This weapon was especially strong in Warzone considering its high accuracy at range and high damage-per-shot. The same goes for dominant new Battle Rifle Bas-B, which is seeing it’s max damage drop by 4 (from 39 to 35). However, the Bas-B is also losing a bit off it’s minimum damage, which is going down to 25 from 27. Finally, the MTZ Interceptor is having its headshot multiplier reduced to 1.5 from 2, to make it less likely to be a one-shot kill. Audio fix The Warzone developers acknowledged that players have expressed that they feel the audio is lacking compared to MW3 and Zombies, as it can be difficult to differentiate between enemy footsteps and their own. The devs said that “we’re committed to ongoing improvements and to ensuring that players can fully immerse themselves in the game while maintaining a competitive edge.” Warzone December 14 update patch notes The full Warzone patch notes can be found below. Warzone Death and Taxes LTM: New BR mode explained – Dexerto
Warzone Death and Taxes LTM: New BR mode explained ActivisionThe new Death and Taxes LTM has some CoD Warzone players scratching their heads as to what the mode’s changes entail. So, we’ve put together a quick and handy guide that should explain everything. Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific is starting to get a bit crazy what with the looming appearance of Godzilla and all. The themed event ties into Warzone Season 3, but Raven are not waiting until the new season to drop never-before-seen content. Death and Taxes is an entirely new LTM in Warzone and it has temporarily replaced the game’s traditional Battle Royale mode. What is this mysterious new game mode and how do you win? Contents What is Death and Taxes LTM in Warzone? – How do you win Death and Taxes LTM in Warzone? – How long is Warzone’s Death and Taxes LTM in Warzone for? – What is Death and Taxes LTM in Warzone? Like Clash or Iron Trials, Death and Taxes is a limited-time mode that has replaced the default Battle Royale mode and allows players to keep coming back from the Gulag with their full quota of cash intact. April is the end of the tax period for the US and the UK and can be stressful for many and also quite fruitful for some with healthy rebates! The new Death and Taxes LTM ties directly into this. How do you win Death and Taxes LTM in Warzone? Quite simply, Death and Taxes is still your typical Battle Royale mode and the only way to win is to outlast every other player as the map becomes engulfed in poisonous gas. As we’ve said, there are two primary differences: the Gulag and Death Tax. Gulag When you die in normal BR, you are sent to the Gulag for a final reprieve. In Death and Taxes, until the Gulag shuts, as long as you can keep winning your Gulag fight, you’ll keep coming back to the match. Death Tax When you die in Warzone you face the showdown in the Gulag. If you win, you drop back into Caldera, but at the cost of most of the money you had accumulated before your death. Death and Taxes is very generous and lets you re-enter the fray with your full allocation of funds you died with. How long is Warzone’s Death and Taxes LTM around for? The mode went live on April 18, 2022, and will be sticking around in CoD Warzone for a full 24 hours. After that, we expect it will be replaced by the normal Battle Royale modes again, but we coudl always see the LTM return down the line if it’s popular enough. 💸 It’s everyone’s “”favorite”” time of the year, so how about a little relief? 🕛 For the next 24 hours we’ve enabled infinite Gulag and ZERO cash loss when you are revived. 💀💰 Death and Taxes LTM is live in #Warzone. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) April 18, 2022 For more informative Call of Duty: Warzone guides, check out the following articles: Best warzone settings to increase FPS on PC| Most popular Warzone weapons | Best Sniper Rifles | All Warzone bunker codes | MAC-10 loadout | Best Warzone loadouts | Top 20 highest-earning players

Warzone data reveals Modern Warfare weapon with faster TTK than meta Bren – Dexerto
Warzone data reveals Modern Warfare weapon with faster TTK than meta Bren ActivisionWarzone players are constantly looking for different meta weapons to use and data now proves that a classic Modern Warfare gun, the Kilo 141 has a faster TTK than the popular Bren. Since Vanguard integration, weapons from the latest installment of the Call of Duty have dominated the battle royale. More specifically, Vanguard’s Bren LMG has been the go-to long-range gun, despite it receiving some nerfs. However, new data proves why one of Warzone’s oldest weapons, the Kilo 141 still has one of the fastest TTKs in the game. Warzone streamer shows insane Kilo 141 TTK loadout Warzone star IceManIsaac breaks down one of the biggest metrics in Warzone when it comes to picking a loadout, time to kill. When the meta is defined it always has the fastest killing weapons. While the Bren has been the top-dog for rifles, that could change thanks to new information. Isaac has gone back to the Modern Warfare days and rediscovered that the Kilo 141 is still a menace on Caldera. Here is his loadout. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8” Prowler – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: VLK 3.0X Optic – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – In the YouTube video, he takes a look at the exact numbers with data from TrueGameData. When looking at the TTK chart, the Kilo has a quicker time than all meta weapons when under 50 meters. IceManIsaac says it isn’t too common to get into fights from such a great distance so he highly recommends using this as “It’s going to destroy.” This can be a great alternative for players to use instead of Vanguard weapons. Since the Kilo was released with Modern Warfare, most players will already have it maxed out with attachments.

Warzone data reveals how many more players are on console than PC – Dexerto
Warzone data reveals how many more players are on console than PC Activision / Sony / Microsoft / VRLATechThere’s been a lot of debate about Call of Duty: Warzone’s players and their systems. Now, new polls have revealed just how many of the BR’s gamers are on console (Xbox, PS4, PS5) compared to PC. As a cross-platform title, Warzone pits the best and worst of every system against each other. That’s meant a lot of gamers grabbing loadouts, but also a good deal of drama as the developers try to balance each experience. Unlike games like Overwatch, which separate console and PC players, Warzone has no console-only cross-play. This has been an issue for the community, as fans complain that they don’t have the FOV Slider or playable stability of their PC counterparts. So, to put the player base’s complaints in perspective – some polls show just how many console players there really are, relative to PC. Warzone data shows 70% of players are on console As you can see from Charlie Intel’s tweet, which received a whopping 51,206 votes, there are… a lot of console players. Combining Xbox (Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S) and PlayStation (PS4, PS5) equals 67.7% of the player base. PC, by contrast, comprises 28.4% of the game’s players. Another poll, from MWZ, received 26,239 votes and showed similar results: 69.3% on console, versus 30.7% on PC. Breaking down Warzone’s player base by console & PC It’s worth noting that, while these polls paint an interesting picture, they’re likely skewed by gamers who are passionate enough to follow CoD Twitter accounts. In reality, this probably excludes a number of very casual players who are likely to be on console – so the numbers could be deflated. Still, the fact that console Warzone players have so many complaints is obviously of importance to everyone. PC players can’t discount the console experience as unimportant when it represents about 70% of their lobbies. Another facet that will likely change is the PlayStation dominance. While the polls show around 40% of players currently being on PS4 and PS5, compared to about 20% for Xbox, those numbers may change in the years ahead following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Warzone could rotate maps like Apex Legends and bring back Verdansk – Dexerto
Warzone could rotate maps like Apex Legends and bring back Verdansk ActivisionWarzone Season 4 sees the battle royale rotate between two maps for the first time, and CoD expert WhosImmortal believes this could hint that the beloved OG map, Verdansk, could make a return one day. Following the addition of Fortune’s Keep to Warzone in Season 4, the CoD battle royale now has map rotation for the very first time since its launch in 2020. As of July 21, Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will be swapped out daily, giving players more variety if they don’t want to tackle the full-scale Warzone experience. Fans have been calling for rotated maps ever since the switch to Caldera around the time of Vanguard’s release, a feature that Apex Legends has had great success with. The new Pacific map got off to a seriously bumpy start, and many immediately began to miss the gritty streets of Verdansk. Well, players’ wishes may be answered, as Warzone expert WhosImmortal believes that multiple maps in Season 4 could open the door for the original Verdank map to return. WhosImmortal thinks Verdansk could return to Warzone In the past, Warzone devs have admitted they “all want” to be able to rotate between Caldera and Verdansk, but technical limitations have gotten in the way. However, WhosImmortal feels that the rotation between Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep is a sign of things to come. “We are 110% in a testing ground for Warzone 2,” he said in a recent video. “If we’re seeing map rotation being put into the game now…that is 110% to see how the players react.” He went on to explain that Warzone isn’t the long-term focus now, with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone expected later this year. “They’re dropping in things to test. The health update – that’s to test player sentiment and see how people react. Map rotations, same thing.” If the community responds well to the contest switching between Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep, WhosImmortal is adamant that the original Warzone map will return before we know it. “If it all goes well and they consistently see players jumping on to experience the new map rotations, I fully believe Verdansk, at one point in time, is going to be back in a map rotation.” He pointed out that adding in Verdansk towards the end of Warzone’s lifecycle could be a good way of keeping interest high when Modern Warfare 2 drops, but it could also feature in Warzone 2 at launch. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see what Raven has in store for us in Warzone Season 5 and beyond, but there’s no doubt that fans would to see their beloved Verdansk back in the game once again.

Warzone controller players demand revert of annoying loadout change – Dexerto
Warzone controller players demand revert of annoying loadout change ActivisionWarzone players are demanding a huge revert of the loadout changes implemented at the start of Season 4, calling it “one of the stupidest changes they have ever done.” Season 4 brought in some significant changes to the Call of Duty battle royale title. Most notably, the introduction of the Fortune’s Keep added something fresh to the game, and has been widely enjoyed by fans since. However, the reception hasn’t been all positive, with certain changes causing a stir among the community. The most significant of these was to loadout drops, changing the cursor placement so that you automatically hover over your top loadout, rather than the one you selected in the pre-game lobby. While players were upset at the change at first, one Warzone dev insisted that it will simply become a matter of muscle memory and players will forget about it before long. That hasn’t happened, though, and players are still incredibly frustrated, as proven in this Reddit post by Putridzzz. “For them catering to the people ‘Picking the wrong loadout’ is so beyond unbelievable because they had options to make a certain loadout chosen,” they said. “There was nothing wrong with the previous Loadout solution.” The post has picked up a lot of traction on Reddit, with the comments almost unanimously in agreement that the change needs to be reverted. “One of the stupidest changes they [have] ever done,” said the top comment on the post. “The problem is not just choosing the wrong loadout, now the biggest problem is when you’re in resurgence, drop on your loadout, and want to take your guns fast but can’t because you need to go down to the middle.” While some players have suggested to just have your preferred loadouts at the top of the list, others have hit back at that as a solution, saying that they like to have multiple loadouts to choose from, making it much easier if they could just select them in the pre-game lobby. It’s worth noting, too, that this is only really an issue that affects controller players, so developers Raven Software might be less inclined to change it back since it doesn’t affect a large portion of the playerbase.

Warzone controller players angered by “ridiculous” disconnect issue – Dexerto
Warzone controller players angered by “ridiculous” disconnect issue ActivisionA Warzone Caldera controller bug is forcing Xbox players out of lobbies, leading to some incredibly frustrating issues. Warzone players on Xbox are reporting that a new controller issue is forcing them to completely abandon games. This is obviously a huge issue for those that run out of power mid-game, particularly when it happens during a firefight or winning play. While each Warzone season has had its fair share of strange bugs and weird visual glitches, the most problematic are those that disrupt the onscreen action. In fact, this frustrating controller issue can completely ruin your chances of securing that all-important win. The developers recently highlighted a number of fixes and adjustments that would be coming to Caldera, but the game’s controller disconnect problem has yet to make it on the list. Warzone controller disconnect issue ruins games In most multiplayer games, a controller disconnect is nothing more than a minor inconvenience. While scrambling for a new battery pack or plugging the controller into the console can be annoying, it doesn’t completely end your game. Read More: Warzone December 9 update – Well, this doesn’t appear to be the case for Xbox Warzone players. As of writing, a number of Xbox Series X users have reported that controller disconnects are forcing them to leave live games since the Caldera map update. Even if they manage to put new batteries in their controller or set up a wired connection, the game doesn’t seem to detect the hardware. “Once the controller is connected again, it doesn’t detect it in-game,” said one frustrated player. “I had to quit out the game completely mid-match.” If that wasn’t bad enough, the disconnect issue appears to be affected by headsets as well. “I turned my headset off mid-game due to me not being able to talk to my teammates, and I got the same controller error,” explained Drainsta. “This whole game seems pretty buggy on Xbox right now.” It’s currently unknown whether this controller issue is impacting PlayStation and PC users, but hopefully, Raven Software can come up with a quick fix.

Warzone pro ClutchBelk faces backlash after mocking female streamer – Dexerto
Warzone pro ClutchBelk faces backlash after mocking female streamer Activision / ClutchBelkWarzone player ClutchBelk is facing backlash from the community after an interaction with SenseiSwishem. The pro was playing a tournament when things got personal and he proceeded to mock the female streamer. Chandler ‘ClutchBelk’ Belk became a rising star in the Warzone scene back when it was released with Modern Warfare. Belk signed with CDL pro team Los Angeles Guerrillas as a content creator earlier in 2021, but a week later, things fell apart. While ClutchBelk has earned over $66,000 from Warzone tournaments the pro caught himself in the middle of a controversy following an interaction with NYSL streamer, SenseiSwishem. Imagine disrespecting a female, discrediting her accomplishments, skill, making fun of her & have your community call her a bitch & harass her in her own chat while having hundreds of people watching you. Men are disgusting — Em (@Swishem) September 26, 2021 ClutchBelk faces backlash after mocking SenseiSwishem The pro was playing in a Warzone tournament when he killed SenseiSwishem, and things were fine until a mod posted a message in her Twitch chat. Read More: Best Warzone loadouts for Iron Trials ’84 – To poke fun at it, Sensei posted a screenshot of the message in Belk’s Discord. It seemed like harmless fun but ClutchBelk said, “Why are you so pressed?” How it all started…. one of his MODS came to my stream after belk killed me and I thought it was funny so I put it in the tourney discord for jokes. pic.twitter.com/AELgUMtVv3 — NYSL Swish ✨ (@SenseiSwishem) September 26, 2021 This led to a back and forth conversation between the two where Belk accused her of “crying about it.” Other people like Newbz and Queenshadows jumped in asking why ClutchBelk was so angry over nothing but he said he wasn’t. Everything seemed to pass over as just being a little altercation but things picked up after ClutchBelk started talking about it in his stream. He mocked her and said, “Does she not know how f**king dumb she sounds, what are you crying for, are we in elementary school?” It would go on for a little longer where Belk took some shots at SenseiSwishem. He was killed by another female player, Queenshadows, and said “Look at that sitting on the roof like a good b***h.” Last clip, in this clip @queenshadows_ kills belk, before belk sees who has killed him he says “guess it’s just nice shots” then sees it was Allie who killed him, he says “yeah sit up there like a good bitch”… pic.twitter.com/0UxFXNUVbK — NYSL Swish ✨ (@SenseiSwishem) September 26, 2021 In another clip, Sensei even accused Belk’s mother of calling her a “b***h.” You can see the full thread of clips by clicking here. In ClutchBelk’s latest stream, he started off by addressing the situation. He wanted to get that stuff settled and “out of his chat.” At the time of writing, his VODs are not viewable to the public but someone posted a clip to Twitter from the start of his stream. God forbird anyone tries to hold this giant man baby accountable for his actions pic.twitter.com/vQZ0j19rYQ — Emi 🇨🇦 (@EmiliaRxse) September 26, 2021 For now, there are two sides to the story but more females have since come out to accuse ClutchBelk of being sexist toward them. If the story develops, we will update you but for now, Belk has taken his stance saying he treats everyone equally.

Warzone conspiracy theorist stumps JGOD with weirdly genius hacking accusation – Dexerto
Warzone conspiracy theorist stumps JGOD with weirdly genius hacking accusation YouTube, More JGOD / ActivisionThere are a lot of Call of Duty: Warzone hacking and cheating accusations out there. But one fan’s conspiracy theory is so bizarre, yet oddly brilliant, that it even has JGOD confused. Cheating is no joke in Warzone. Players have been caught using VPNs to sneak into easier lobbies, while others have been caught red-handed using wall hacks (ESP) and aim bots. Oh, and then there’s Cronus Zen users as well — whose controller attachments give them automatic recoil control. But all of these cheating methods can be exposed. VPNs can be seen through the in-game “Geo” screen, aim bots through a full session of gameplay, wall hacks through a monitor cam, and Cronus Zens through a hand cam. One JGOD fan has come up with a cheating conspiracy theory that would be very hard to detect though. It involves killing a friendly hacker, using their spectator cam to see things on another monitor, and it’s so bizarre that JGOD and others are dumbfounded. Thats some next level conspiracy theory stuff I have never seen before and I see a lot of Tinfoil hat theories regularly. pic.twitter.com/y2GEKLbaMX — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) June 28, 2021 After begging JGOD to pay attention, this commenter explains that they think there are “streamers intentionally killing a hacker (their other account) on a second monitor and using [the hacker’s] POV to spectate themselves on a separate monitor with wall hacks.” It’s frankly an incredible idea and one that even JGOD had to describe as “next-level conspiracy theory stuff I have never seen before.” In essence, the idea is that if you could kill a hacker and access their POV, you could use their spectator screen to see through walls — granting invaluable information with quick glances. This way, you could cheat without it being visible on your stream or monitor cam. While this theory isn’t completely impossible, it is so much more difficult than the conspiracy theorist realizes. As JGOD explains to believers in the replies, if the streamer was also playing as the hacker, they would need “four hands” to pull it off. Additionally, people would probably notice a familiar account being killed at the start of each match. But who knows, maybe streamers will need to begin using room cams instead of monitor cams — just to make sure nothing fishy is going on.

Warzone console players furious as mid-season update breaks the game – Dexerto
Warzone console players furious as mid-season update breaks the game Activision / Sony / MicrosoftWarzone players have been experiencing problems since the release of the mid-season update. And now, console players are frustrated that it’s crashing the game. The Warzone Pacific Season 1 Reloaded update was released on January 12. This gave players the Welgun SMG as well as balance changes to the game’s weapons. Despite the new content, players have still been reporting issues with the game such as Gulag glitches, out-of-map issues, and more. However, console players are seeing another bug hinder their gameplay with a glitch leaving them stranded in a crash loop. Warzone console players claim new update broke game In a Reddit post by ‘geTplasterd,’ they are reporting consistent game freezes shortly after launching Warzone on their Xbox console. Other players in the thread replied reporting the same issue. However, these are coming from PlayStation users, which means this is occurring only on consoles. Apparently, when Warzone is launched it takes people to the RICOCHET screen, which then freezes and crashes the game. Redditors say that this started after the mid-season patch, “I haven’t been able to play post update.” Console players are finding this quite frustrating as they have to load the game multiple times and hope that they can get one round where it finally lets them in. Some players have reported a fix for this, however, it doesn’t work for everyone. They say that you need to “Uninstall all of the game add-ons except for the base game.” While this will get rid of the Modern Warfare multiplayer it has a high chance at resolving the issue for Warzone. If a more effective fix is revealed or if Raven Software offer a solution we will update this as soon as it’s available.

Warzone console hack developer shuts down in major anti-cheat victory for Activision – Dexerto
Warzone console hack developer shuts down in major anti-cheat victory for Activision ActivisionActivision scored a massive anti-cheat victory as the developer behind a new emerging Warzone console hack has announced they are shutting down development. The hack, which featured auto-aim and other abusive elements, used machine learning to send inputs to a controller and only required those with the cheats to aim in the general area. Originally, the hack was brought to light by watchdog Anti-Cheat Police Department, who warned that while the cheat was detectable, it wouldn’t be easy for developers to do so. As such, Activision took action and began to remove the hack’s YouTube channels that advertised the cheats to players. Remember the console cheat that used computer vision? and emulate controller input? That we reported? well… @Activision has made their stance very clear that they are not messing around, they went right for the head and stopped it from spreading or taking off. Incridible. pic.twitter.com/tuIlc7z2n2 — Anti-Cheat Police Department 🕵️ (@AntiCheatPD) July 12, 2021 Now, on July 13, the developer of the hacks has announced they’re shutting down at the “request” of Activision. “I will no longer be developing or providing access to software that could be used to exploit their games,” the dev wrote. “My intent was never to do anything illegal.” The developer continued that the hack was never fully released and all promotional materials advertised it as “coming soon.” “This type of technology has other actual assistive benefits, for example, by pointing a webcam at yourself you could control movements without the use of limbs. Unfortunately, because of its potential negative impact, I will not be developing it further.” News of the hack’s shutdown was applauded by Anti-Cheat Police Department, who told Dexerto that its use extended to more than just Warzone and that any console game could have been at risk. “Activision has made their stance very clear that they are not messing around, they went right for the head and stopped it from spreading or taking off,” they wrote. “Incredible.” No, they can’t he would get chased by the ends of the earth, this provider was the only one with a successful Computer vision type cheat that was emulating console inputs, I am sure @Activision has done their research before pursuing legal actions. — Anti-Cheat Police Department 🕵️ (@AntiCheatPD) July 12, 2021 It also seems as if this cheat creator won’t be a problem again. When asked about a potential rebrand, Anti-Cheat PD replied, “he would get chased by the ends of the earth. This provider was the only one with a successful Computer vision type cheat that was emulating console inputs.” “I am sure Activision has done their research before pursuing legal actions,” he noted. While this victory in one battle against hacks is a solid W, the war continues. Most recently, a couple of new cheats are giving players unlimited UAVs while hackers are giving random users all gun camos and attachments. Activision may still have their hands full, but at least they were able to stop a new wave of console cheats before they got out of control.

Warzone confirms upcoming weapon changes: AMAX, FARA, Bullfrog, more – Dexerto
Warzone confirms upcoming weapon changes: AMAX, FARA, Bullfrog, more ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s meta may be shifting, once again, in Season 3. After the developers promised more adjustments, it appears that buffs and nerfs are coming to the AMAX, FARA, Bullfrog, and all Black Ops Cold War guns. In Warzone’s Season 3 patch notes, guns were changed drastically and the ensuing meta completely changed in Verdansk. But devs left a note foreshadowing upcoming changes as well: “We are keeping a close eye on the AMAX. No king rules forever.” It seems those upcoming changes are drawing nearer, as an April 28 Warzone patch promises weapon adjustments to the CR-56 AMAX, FARA 83, Bullfrog, and all Cold War guns’ ADS times. Since Season 3 nerfed the AUG and M16, the AMAX has reigned supreme as the long-range gun of choice among top players. Similarly, Cold War ARs like the FARA and AK-47 have been used as lethal secondaries. The foreshadowed update could change all of that. Warzone’s upcoming Season 3 weapon changes The patch notes promise two things. First, there will be “balance adjustments” for the AMAX, FARA, and Bullfrog. Second, there will be “changes to ADS firing speed” on all BOCW attachments. Considering the earlier threat to the “king,” one has to presume these AMAX changes will be nerfs to the popular gun. Now that players are increasingly comfortable with its recoil, perhaps its damage will be reined in so that it’s closer to other ARs. The FARA and Bullfrog mentions are intriguing, the former because it’s not considered OP by any means and the latter because it’s not considered very strong at all. At the moment, the FARA is a strong close-range gun — so they may nerf its mobility and buff its range. Similarly, the Bullfrog is lethal if you hit headshots up to about 15 meters, at which point there’s a massive drop-off, so they may nerf the headshot multiplier while buffing other stats so the gun is more versatile (and forgiving). The ADS speed changes can only be assumed to impact the amount of Cold War ARs we’re seeing used as secondaries, but no one can be sure. Where will Warzone’s meta go next? Both prongs of the meta are likely to be impacted by these promised adjustments. If the AMAX is nerfed, then the obvious primary of choice will be the Krig 6 — which was already getting some play anyway. Other intriguing primaries will include the Kar98k, the Stoner 63, and practically every Modern Warfare AR that fans have begun to grow nostalgic for (Kilo 141, M4-A1, Grau 5.56). As for secondaries, if the FARA is nerfed and the AK-47 is not, then the latter will immediately become the best close-range gun in the game. But if all ADS speeds are changed for BOCW ARs, then SMGs may return to the limelight. If the Bullfrog is buffed, it likely becomes the best secondary in the game. If not, subs like the LC10 and MAC-10 remain viable, with the chance to surpass a possibly slower AK-47 and FARA.

Warzone & competitive CoD are being killed by Activision’s obsession with money – Dexerto
Warzone & competitive CoD are being killed by Activision’s obsession with money Activision / PexelsThe Call of Duty franchise, especially with the advent of Warzone, is as big as ever. Yet, Activision’s profit tunnel vision is destabilizing the games’ competitive scenes, their foundation, and the future of CoD. There is no disputing that Call of Duty makes a lot of money. Modern Warfare 2019, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, CoD: Mobile, and – above all else – Warzone have all been commercial successes. While Activision Blizzard shareholders and executives are therefore likely content with the franchise’s model, their prioritization is weakening the FPS title’s foundation. While money is spent on flashy marketing and casual-first content, the game’s most competitive and passionate players are being shoved further aside. The company’s stance toward striking Warzone quality testers is emblematic of the wider problem. “Quality” is a nebulous term among CoD’s caretakers and short-term profits have blinded them to long-term, foundational issues that are pushing players away and making the franchise vulnerable to competitors. Call of Duty and Warzone’s communities reach breaking point “I guess I’m the fool.”@Nadeshot reflecting on 100T’s investment due to Call of Duty’s current state 😬 Lots of work for Activision to do once they’re back from holiday break pic.twitter.com/IApSgycEnn — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) December 30, 2021 Over the past few days, the competitive CoD scene has essentially imploded. One of Warzone’s biggest all-time players, Aydan, left the game for Apex Legends (just as NICKMERCS did earlier). On Twitter, CDL pros and team owners like Nadeshot spilled their somber souls. Their main issues are relatively fixable – they want ranked modes, balanced competitive games, and – more than anything else – transparency about these items and fixes for bugs, mechanics, and balancing. While complaints of some rich streamers, pros, and execs may not feel obviously tied to the casual base, they are. Competitive gamers provide free marketing for a title, as their content promotes the game across platforms like Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok. Aydan left for Apex, Nadeshot called himself a “fool” for buying into the CDL, and CoD’s GOAT, Crimsix, says developers “are not interested in making a great video game.” The franchise’s most passionate scene is in shambles. The trickle-down effect of ignoring competitive players It’s obvious that the people at the very top of the COD franchise are not interested in making a great video game. Annual releases are an illusion(blatant reskins) to sell more product. They are only focused on making it “good enough” to keep this cycle going. ^the real problem^ — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) December 30, 2021 For years, CoD has been the de facto console FPS in the Western world. This, coupled with recent success, has enabled Activision’s executives to falsely rest upon the laurels of their popularity. The question is: Would the franchise be as popular without the content its gamers provide? In a world where esports, streaming, and gaming content gain more impressions each year, the answer is obvious. If CoD’s directors keep shelving the pleas of their most passionate players, those players will lose interest or be poached by competitors. Just look at Apex Legends taking Warzone’s viewership crown or Halo Infinite overtaking the CDL’s excitement for clear examples. Once CoD gradually loses its top-level gamers, its content will dry up and casuals will grow more curious about rival titles. This is a logically sound expectation and one whose process has already begun. Activision have the budget, but lack the vision, to fix CoD https://twitter.com/sydney_sweeney/status/1468654286397579267 At this point, it’s hard to believe Activision have the foresight to build CoD’s future. Top players are outraged on social media, casual players can’t even play on their consoles, and the company doesn’t seem to have made either party’s concerns a priority. So, enough of the flashy marketing and obsession with short-term profits. Activision need to pay their employees, enable said employees to fix their games, and save the franchise’s future. Since Warzone’s March 2020 release, around $9 million has been awarded in prizing – much of it coming from Activision’s pockets. In that time, the company has also marketed its titles with sparkly names like actress Sydney Sweeney and pop culture phenomenon Guy Fieri. Marketing the game, with tournament support and media collaborations, is swell. Yet those efforts feel like empty gestures when real needs are outright ignored. Instead, the community has practically been gaslit into believing their concerns will be addressed (remember Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games’ promises?). Still, we can’t even be upset with the developers, who work under the umbrella of a company alleged to dismiss employee wellbeing and ignore its striking QA team. And we can’t be mad at CDL employees either, with one recently explaining just how little support they felt when trying to nurture the esport. Call of Duty’s problems are the consequence of a short-term vision that sees dollar signs in microtransactions and popularity but forgets that the game’s foundation is built on passion and competition. If Warzone and competitive CoD are going to reach their potential, one of two things needs to happen: 1) Every other AAA game developer must promise to never create a competitor, or 2) Activision need to start spending at least some of their money on the right goals.

Warzone community trolls devs after Caldera Tweet goes horribly wrong – Dexerto
Warzone community trolls devs after Caldera Tweet goes horribly wrong ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Warzone community is never shy to express their feelings and after the devs tweeted a picture of Caldera, fans made sure their displeasure was heard. Back in December, Warzone retired Verdansk to transition the game over to the tropics with the island of Caldera. This Pacific, World War II-themed map has been far from perfect in the community’s eyes. They have petitioned to bring back Verdansk and even to move the current POIs around. While the players continue to voice their frustrations with the layout of Caldera, the CoD social media team walked straight into this cross fire after they tweeted what seemed to be a simple question. Warzone devs troll themselves with Pacific Tweet https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1490445219078225925 In a tweet on February 6, the official Call of Duty page sent out a picture of the current map with the caption “What’s been your go-to drop spot in Caldera so far?” Even though this is the main map in the game, the majority of replies were not as the devs likely expected. Numerous people claimed that their go to spot was actually “Rebirth Island.” Implying that Caldera is so bad they have only been playing that mode. Warzone expert JGOD was amongst the crowd on the Rebirth train. He tweeted a zoomed out image and circled a tiny little spec on the screen. When he highlighted his red arrow it turns out his favorite spot has actually be Rebirth Island’s Prison Block. Not only that, his tweet accumulated more likes than CoD’s, which had the community saying “[This] man ratio’d CoD” Other players supported JGOD as they were spamming Rebirth and images of Verdansk in the comments. One user said, “anywhere in Verdansk > Caldera’s entire map.” While another said, “here,” with a picture of Rebirth. Good news for the players is that the devs hinted at map changes coming in Season 2 so things could be shaken up really soon. But, this was a hilarious moment for the community to flame Warzone’s current state.

Warzone community overwhelmingly flames removal of slide canceling in MW2 – Dexerto
Warzone community overwhelmingly flames removal of slide canceling in MW2 Infinity WardInfinity Ward tried its hand at a few ambitious innovations for Warzone 2, but ultimately backtracked. However, despite facing a massive wave of backlash, the devs haven’t budged on removing slide canceling. Warzone 2 built upon the original battle royale experience by introducing a 2v2 gulag, backpacks, AI enemies, and more. The devs also controversially removed a few legacy features, such as loadout drops and slide canceling. None of the decisions lasted long or left a positive impression on players. Infinity Ward eventually reverted back to the original gulag system, removed backpacks, and cut out a majority of AI combatants from the map. On top of that, loadout drops returned after community members made their voices heard. One design choice players have not been able to sway devs on, however, is the removal of slide canceling. Warzone 2 players voice frustrations over removal of slide canceling Modern Warfare 2019 introduced slide canceling. The whole premise around it is using it as an effective way to get around the map quickly and finesse enemies. Players utilized the mechanic to add an extra layer of movement to gunfights. Warzone 2 removed the feature. Without the ability to slide around, some players have argued it’s too hard to escape an engagement or reposition. ModernWarzone asked community members in a poll: “Are you happy Call of Duty and Warzone removed slide canceling this year?” Over 45,000 people voted, and 64% of voters claimed they are unhappy over the decision to remove the feature. As of writing, there are no announced plans to add the feature back to Warzone 2. Insider Gaming reported that Call of Duty 2023 will be called Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Henderson claimed that Las Almas, the map from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, will be MW3’s fully-fledged battle royale map. It’s yet unclear whether MW3 would be sticking with the Warzone 2 template or if it’ll start fresh as Warzone 3. Community members will just need to wait and see if the fan-favorite feature makes a return in the next series installment. For more, check out the rest of our Warzone 2 coverage.

Warzone community furious as “naked” AoT players are streaking across Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone community furious as “naked” AoT players are streaking across Caldera ActivisionWarzone fans are losing their minds as “naked men” or anime-lovers are running loose on Caldera with the new Attack on Titan skin bundle. The Armored Titan skin that hit the store has seen plenty of positive feedback from the Call of Duty community. Fan think this pack did a better job at portraying the anime theme into the FPS than the original Levi skin did. Despite all of the positivity, there are a handful of gamers that are frustrated with it as they are sick of seeing naked Operators run wild on Caldera. Warzone fans sick of AoT naked skin bundle Reddit user ‘DefunctHunk_COD’ posted a thread titled “my lobbies are filled with naked men.” Without any context this is without a doubt one of the strangest things to claim in Warzone. But, the community seems to be in agreement with it. As seen in the picture, the Armored Titan, appears in straight flesh and no clothing, is being labeled as naked. While you don’t actually need to shield your eyes from nudity, fans are sick of seeing this monster streaking around. One Redditor said, “To each their own but I hate it. S**t just looks ridiculous.” While another added, “I don’t see the appeal in wearing light tan skin, you stick out like an ugly sore thumb.” Some people think it’s just a money scheme to get people to buy these crazy skins. While others added that Warzone is becoming too “unrealistic.” However, with rumors of Snoop Dogg, King Kong, and other collaborations coming to the game, it appears that more out-of-the-ordinary collaborations could be on the way soon.

Warzone community demands WW2-themed skins instead of “anime s**t” – Dexerto
Warzone community demands WW2-themed skins instead of “anime s**t” ActivisionAs Warzone continues to get new Operator skins, fans are now calling for Activision to add some World War 2-themed ones over the likes of skins from animes like Attack on Titan. Warzone has seen some wild skins since the change to the Pacific. Players have had two different Attack on Titan bundles, battle pass skins, and other cool cosmetics. Despite the love these skins have seen, specifically the Armored Titan one, players are getting fed up with these anime skins. Now, fans are begging Call of Duty to add some “realistic skins” to match the World War 2 theme that Caldera is supposed to be bringing. Warzone players want World War 2 skins With Warzone’s transition to the Pacific, the World War 2 theme has been put into full effect. Through Fighter Planes and weaponry, the game has seen many aspects of that era, expect for one. In a Reddit post by ‘LegionOfGrixis’ the user has hopped on the bandwagon that’s en route to get some “authentic” skins put into the battle royale. However, players feel that Warzone is missing out on “easy” opportunities to put WW2 lookalike skins in the game. User ‘whomstd-ve’ is part of that crowd that wants a basic skin to reflect the war. “Vanguard needs military simulation operators. I just want to play as a standard issue serviceman, not some anime s**t.” Another Redditor is completely fed up with Warzone skins this year. “The skins so far for Vanguard have been absolutely terrible… They need some new artists or something.” The community has been extremely divided this year regarding the skin game and it seems this conflict is going to be occurring for a while as both sides demand for specific skins.

Warzone community clowns hacker’s “completely legit” 3rd person world record – Dexerto
Warzone community clowns hacker’s “completely legit” 3rd person world record ActivisionWarzone players are constantly pushing the limits of Verdansk, going for as many kills as possible. While some world records seem impossible to break, hackers are determined to destroy these, one using a third-person POV to drop 108 kills. Players are constantly dropping into Verdansk in hopes of achieving new heights when it comes to kill totals. World records are one of the most prestigious accomplishments in Warzone and only the elite of the elite have what it takes to set these bars. However, the community was having a blast with one player, who shattered a Warzone world record with 108 kills. Turns out the person was using an unusual hack, a third-person POV mod. Warzone community mocks hacker’s third-person world record The Warzone community has been infested with cheaters lately. Despite banning numerous accounts, Activision are still trying to manage their problem with cheaters. Warzone content creator, IceManIsaac, took to Twitter to post an impressive Duos world record performance by a player with 108 kills. This was only for the community to mock this player as they discovered the record was “broken” by a hacker using a third-person POV. While 108 kills are extremely impressive, Warzone players were not going to let this go without repercussions after realizing the person was live streaming with cheats. One person was quick to respond with a clip from the hacker’s stream that shows off this person’s point of view. Turns out they not only had aim hacks, but were playing in third person. I literally just looked him up on twitch, playing in 3rd person and got dropped lol pic.twitter.com/oCRkPD1dTT — CP®️ (@corey_pryor) September 2, 2021 Other players clowned this “world record” after discovering that the player was a blatant cheater. I pulled up his stream he’s cheating 😂😂 Dont bullshit with fake world record attempts — skyystarz (@skyystarzz) September 2, 2021 Not only was this person cheating, but was doing so live on Twitch. The community rallied, posting this cheater’s stream link in tons of places. Activision took notice and banned the player’s account and Twitch have banned them from streaming on their platform.

Warzone community calls for two major map POIs to be swapped on Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone community calls for two major map POIs to be swapped on Caldera ActivisionWarzone pros and casual players alike are calling for two major Caldera Points of Interest (POIs) to be swapped around to better improve the map. Caldera has definitely been a divisive new addition to Warzone. While some players love it, many also miss Verdansk and want to see the old map come back into play. While there’s no telling if or when Verdansk will ever be back, that doesn’t stop players from wishing to see their old battlegrounds return, even with map changes confirmed to be coming to Caldera in Season 2. Several players have stated that they believe swapping two major POIs around on the map could be just the change Caldera needs — and it looks like it could work, too. Anybody who has dropped into Caldera even just a few times will know all about Peak — It’s bang in the middle of the map, literally set atop a huge mountain, and is the best drop if you’re looking for engagements off the rip. Some players don’t like it, though, as its central location often means having to rotate around or through it, making for some frustrating play. That’s why players have been arguing that it should be swapped with the southern POI Capital. This image from ARES_GOD shows what it would look like, and people are liking the look of it. Casual players aren’t the only ones who would like to see this change happen, though. On January 26, Warzone pro and streamer Hector ‘Repullze’ Torres tweeted at developers Raven Software, asking “How much to swap peak for capital?” How much to swap peak for capital? @RavenSoftware pic.twitter.com/YZnOivcpPo — रepullze (@Repullze) January 26, 2022 It seems unlikely that Raven would make such a fundamental design change to their map, but it’s certainly not impossible and, if enough players start demanding it, you never know what could happen.

Although the community thought it was underwhelming, maybe it was to lead to his arrival in Cold War. With this leak, it is expected that he will be joining Hudson and Woods as operator skins in Warzone and Cold War. These will likely carry over with the integration of Vanguard into Warzone as well. Warzone & Cold War Season 2 trailer teases Galil & 3 other new weapons – Dexerto
Warzone & Cold War Season 2 trailer teases Galil & 3 other new weapons ActivisionA new cinematic trailer has been released for Season Two of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, and among all the new content that’s on the way, it looks like we could be getting up to four new weapons, including the iconic Galil. [jwplayer bjQdhi3F] Black Ops Cold War & Warzone Season 2 kicks off on February 25, according to a new cinematic trailer released by Treyarch on Feb 16. The video depicts Frank Woods and his team going on a search to find the missing Russell Adler, who was kidnapped by the villainous Stitch at the end of Season One. Black Ops Cold War & Warzone Season 2 trailer New weapons in Warzone & Cold War Season 2 There’s a lot to unpack in the cinematic, but what’s caught fans’ attention the most is the appearance of four new weapons: the Galil, Crossbow, Minigun, and a new SMG. As you’d expect, the possible return of the Galil has a lot of players excited. The assault rifle is one of the most iconic weapons in Call of Duty history, first making its debut back in BO1 before being re-released in the three following Black Ops titles. And while not used nearly as much over the years, the Crossbow is similarly prominent, having been included in numerous CoD games, most recently Modern Warfare. The fact that it’s coming to Cold War now means that Warzone will include two different versions of it for players to pick from, theoretically allowing them to run double Crossbow loadouts. 🚨 FOUR new weapons spotted in the Season 2 cinematic trailer! • Galil • AI-LC10 SMG • Crossbow • Minigun pic.twitter.com/mmT7Bl6aZZ— Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 16, 2021 That then brings us to the other two guns teased in the cinematic, starting with what looks like a brand new SMG. Data miners have identified it as the AI-LC10 submachine gun based on info found in the game files. There are no details available yet as to how it functions. Last but not least, we have the minigun. While we don’t know 100% yet, it’s safe to assume that if the devs to add the minigun in BOCW, it’ll be exclusive to Care Packages and/or scorestreaks, similar to the Death Machine in Black Ops 1 and 2. The minigun was also added in BO3 & BO4 but was only available in Zombies. Other new Season 2 content: Operators & Warzone teaser In addition to the new weapons, the cinematic also includes what appears to be the next new Operator in the form of Kapono ‘Naga’ Vang, who Woods’ team runs into in the jungles of the Golden Triangle. Naga is working with Stitch – made evident by the two talking to each other via radio – so it’s very likely that he’ll be the main new playable character in multiplayer and Warzone. Speaking of Warzone, the battle royale’s main map, Verdansk, gets mentioned in that very same conversation. Naga lets Stitch know that “Adler is secured and heading to you in Verdansk,” to which the evil mastermind responds with, “Good, make them believe we care about the Nova 6 supply lines.” While this doesn’t offer much into revealing the next phase of Warzone, the fact that it gets mentioned is important enough to note since the BR’s next main map, rumored to be Ural Mountains, could be releasing at some point in Season 2. “”Adler secured and headed to you in Verdansk.”” – Naga “”Good. Make them believe we care about the NOVA 6 supply lines.”” – Stitch — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 16, 2021 Season 2 will be going live in BOCW & Warzone on Thursday, February 25, available for free on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Warzone clip shows off sneaky Rebirth Island parkour spot to counter campers – Dexerto
Warzone clip shows off sneaky Rebirth Island parkour spot to counter campers ActivisionOne of Warzone’s most popular game modes is Rebirth Resurgence since it allows for multiple respawns. Dropping in can be a bit annoying if teams are already set up but a video shows off a new way to attack roof campers. Early on in Rebirth Island, players that are taken down have a chance to redeploy if their squad can stay alive until the timer hits zero seconds. This will last until around the third or fourth circle then the only way to respawn is for teammates to buy a squad member back. This game mode allows the more casual player base to enjoy a game of Warzone and still have multiple chances to get a victory. However, plays can get stuck in a loop of redeploying and dying over and over due to campers. This new trick will show you how to take down roof campers on Chemical Engineering. Warzone Rebirth Resurgence tips and tricks If you have ever played a game of Rebirth Resurgence you have definitely run into roof campers. More specifically ones that love to sit on top of Chemical. Redditor, ‘RealGsusDude’ shows off how to take an alternative sneaky path to get onto the roof so you don’t need to climb up the ladder. As seen in this video, you no longer need to slowly climb the ladder to your death. All you need is a tiny bit of coordination. Players start by jumping onto the railing on the 3rd floor of Chemical Engineering and then TAC Sprint onto the edge of the roof. If done correctly players will mantle up and get onto the roof. What makes this trick cool is that players can do this from both sides of the roof. Squads can sync up and time it together to shock these “roof rats” and regain control of the game.

Warzone clip shows just how broken melee is – Dexerto
Warzone clip shows just how broken melee is Treyarch/ActivisionMelee damage in Warzone has always been a heated topic in the community and a recent viral clip of a player getting one hit has only added fuel to the flames. While the majority of Warzone players prefer taking down their enemies with a meta SMG or AR, there are a few that like to use their fists, especially just after dropping into a map. When everyone is scrambling to find a weapon, it can be extremely effective to melee your opponents as the attacks deal a serious amount of damage. This strategy has begun to cause a lot of frustration in the community, with players claiming melee attacks have become outright broken and impossible to counter at the start of a match. Now, a clip has gone viral showcasing how easy it is to take down an enemy from full health with just melee, and players are calling for nerfs. Warzone players call for nerf to “out of hand” melee damage Although melee is rarely used in the late stages of a match, the majority of complaints come from players dying just after landing, particularly on Rebirth Island. With the current state of melee in Warzone, a lot of players are using the rush strategy to instantly down an opponent with a few punches. If they’re running Dead Silence or have just parachuted into the map, it’s almost impossible to counter their attacks and that’s exactly what santeenthedream showcased in their clip. After dropping into Rebirth, they were immediately ambushed and taken down with two melee attacks, despite having full health and two shield plates. It’s safe to say this clip didn’t go down well with the Warzone community and led to a lot of feedback and calls for nerfs. Some players even came up with original concepts to help balance melee, including a consumable perk: “Melee speed needs to be way slower… force people to consume a perk if they want to melee like this”. Others claim that as melee takes no skill, it shouldn’t be rewarded with huge damage numbers: “There’s just no skill in it and so many people rely on it for hot drops”. For now, we’ll just have to see if Raven takes on the feedback or choose to prioritize other issues in-game. Either way, it’s clear there’s a demand for melee attacks to be nerfed, and the community seems to be getting more and more frustrated.

Warzone climbing tips and tricks – best jump-up spots & secrets – Dexerto
Warzone climbing tips and tricks – best jump-up spots & secrets Infinity WardMovement and positioning are key to success in Call of Duty: Warzone, but some of the best climbing spots and tricks have remained secrets — until now. Many players already know that there is a way to climb Verdansk’s dam, and that there are various boxes and ledges you can utilize across the map to reach difficult locations or begin engagements from surprising locations. However, for those who are trying to up their gameplay and movement techs, it’s useful to see some of the sneakier tricks that they can begin taking advantage of (or be prepared for more experienced opponents to take advantage of). Of course, these can’t be fully comprehensive ,as the map is huge — but these examples should serve to show some mantling techs and climbing or jumping tricks that you can replicate across similar environments. We’ll break down two examples from the map’s more common buildings found Downtown and elsewhere, two near the rocky terrain and confusing tunnel near Dam and, finally, two showing how you can use cars or deployable covers to create your own unique approaches. Mantling and jumping onto ledges Proving why movement techs are so useful in Warzone, Redditor ‘jhz123’ showed off absurd map awareness at the Public House in Verdansk’s Bloc 6 by gingerly mantling onto a nearby fence and jumping onto the building’s second floor, much to the surprise (and dismay) of a team he eventually wipes. This is a niche spot, but shows that you should try and take advantage of any nearby fences and structures that can be mantled upon when engaging with a building. Read more: How to climb up the Dam in Warzone – A more common example will be the ledge jump you can pull off at Torsk Bloc’s Twin Apartment Complexes. These provide the most verticality in the area, with ledges and cover that make it hard to contest from below. Like most rooftops in Warzone, taking stairs or an elevator up into a waiting team is almost always a death sentence. However, as Youtuber ‘Drift0r’ shows, if a team is waiting for you to push through the doorway, you can sneakily jump and mantle onto the building’s ledge to push them from a surprise angle. The same opportunity won’t be there on every building, but players should keep an eye out for creative ways to use ledges and windows for unique angles. Rock and ramp mechanics Rocks are a nightmare in Warzone and the tunnel near Dam is a particular nuisance, as it combines the steepness of Dam with the surroundings of confusing rocky terrain. It’s just a weird area, but seeing ways to overcome it can help players see how you can deal with awkward movement interactions. On one side, Youtuber ‘Kurt Perry’ shows that you can use a nearby barricade to jump onto the tunnel’s ramped edge, from which you can essentially wall bounce between the tunnel’s structure and surrounding rocks until you are able to mantle onto the high ground with a climbable rock. It’s not the smoothest mobility, but proves that where there is a will, there is a way. On the other side of the tunnel, the Atlanta FaZe’s Preston “Priestahh” Greiner showed a nifty spot to the Dallas Empire’s Ian “Crimsix” Porter, who was struggling to find a way above the tunnel. Instead of using a nearby barricade, Priestahh shows Crimsix that you can utilize a portapotty to get the verticality needed to mantle above the tunnel and onto the rocky high ground. Cars and covers: portable mobility Finally, sometimes you don’t need to rely upon the map’s nearby scenery if you can make your own. The most common example of this is seen in various clips of players using Warzone’s trucks and cars to hit unique positioning plays. As shown by ‘Lucky_-1y’ on Reddit, these plays have verged on memes. But they’re still worth being aware of since they can be pulled off at nearly every single two-floor house in the game, and most campers are too busy nervously staring down a stairwell to notice you finding a way into the window behind them. More discreet than positioning a bright red car on your opponent’s minimap, players can also use deployable covers for innovative mobility options. Police Stations are particularly useful in Warzone as they offer an ammo cache on the ground floor and, typically, their rooftops can only be accessed by ladders—making them hard to contest from below. The creative ‘Mikyuno’ on Reddit showed an alternative, though, by being using a deployable cover on the second floor’s ledge to mantle onto the roof without his opponent having any idea what was happening. In sum, these are not all of the game’s secret spots and tricks—nor can these tricks be used across all locations. But they touch on a wide variety of scenery you’ll encounter throughout Verdansk. Most importantly, these should help give a sense of the mechanics you can use to your advantage and the mindset needed to do so.

Warzone players frustrated by return of “cheating nuke teams” ruining the game – Dexerto
Warzone players frustrated by return of “cheating nuke teams” ruining the game Activision BlizzardCall of Duty: Warzone players lament “cheating nuke teams” have returned with the launch of the Champion’s Quest feature. Raven Software brought back Champion’s Quest for Warzone with the launch of Season 1 Reloaded. However, the Reloaded patch introduced a slew of unexpected issues, which forced the team to temporarily disable the nuke quest. Fortunately, this particular bit of content didn’t remain out of commission for very long. Not everyone’s happy about the state of things now that the quest has returned, though. Having the opportunity to use the nuke requires a lot of work. For example, users must secure five consecutive wins or earn 30 wins in a season to unlock Champion’s Quest. Unsurprisingly, cheaters have already found ways to bypass the overall challenge. Warzone players annoyed by cheaters ruining nuke quest Call of Duty cheaters wasted no time utilizing aimbots, wallhacks, and the like to get ahead and blast their way through the Champion’s Quest. Players are wasting no time calling them out, either. One Reddit user shared their experience in a recent thread, noting that they “just got railed through smoke with no opportunity for a ping by a level 11 on the nuke team trying to plant.” Unfortunately for the Redditor, the nuke ended up going off. Because the cheater’s name was “unfindable after the game,” the original poster couldn’t report the behavior. According to other people in the thread, this isn’t exactly a mild issue. “Cheaters are running wild right now,” reads a reply from one player. Several users chimed in to say they’ve also encountered Warzone cheaters who were able to use the nuke. One such comment states, “Was just in a game with cheaters who got the nuke. All walling, aimbotting and had names like ‘yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy’…” Another Call of Duty fan wants Activision to let console players share lobbies without crossplay, as that could be a solution for some segments of the audience. “If they would allow Console lobbies to merge when crossplay is turned off, this wouldn’t be an issue,” they wrote. Cheaters are also running rampant in Modern Warfare 3, according to multiple Reddit users. At this point, it seems fans have no confidence that the problem will ever truly be solved.

Warzone cheaters using third-person mode hack to completely ruin games – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters using third-person mode hack to completely ruin games ActivisionWarzone hackers have started playing the game in third person, giving themselves the best field of view possible and making it even easier to destroy lobbies. Hacking has long been an issue in Warzone, ever since the game launched and became one of the most popular titles in the world. Even with the introduction of RICOCHET anti-cheat, hackers are still able to manipulate the game to their advantage, and while there are fewer cheaters in the game now, some still sneak through the gaps. They ruin everyone else’s games and, much more annoyingly, they always find ways to make the game even easier (and more frustrating for opponents) with new ways to cheat. While cheaters still predominantly rely on wallhacks and aimbot to rack up easy kills, even they are looking for ways to keep the game fresh. We’ve seen some crazy hacks, with players able to swiftly climb cliffs to reach their enemies, as well as flying cars and super-speed demons. Now, third-person gameplay is taking over, giving players an even better view around them and making it far easier to spot opponents surrounding them. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load This isn’t the first time third-person hacks have arrived in Warzone, though, with cheaters able to do the same for a short time in 2021, too. One player even broke the duos world record using third-person hacks before but was quickly exposed and mocked online for his efforts. It’s not clear how long it will take for Activision to put an end to these cheats, with players complaining that the situation has got a lot worse since Season 4 launched, but it has also prompted some to question whether a third-person mode could be put into Warzone to change the game up.

Warzone cheaters turn Mines into deathtrap with frustrating wallbreach glitch – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters turn Mines into deathtrap with frustrating wallbreach glitch ActivisionWarzone cheaters have been found to be glitching insider walls for cheap and easy wins in the Mines section of the Caldera map. Since Warzone’s release, players have gradually become accustomed to all sorts of cheaters and bug abusers that have plagued the game. With the new Warzone map Caldera released in December, fans were hopeful that a lot of the issues would be ironed out with the introduction of Ricochet anti-cheat. However, it proved to not be as effective as expected, with flying car hacks returning. Besides obvious cheaters flying around in cars, some cheaters take the less obvious route of abusing bugs and glitches. The latest annoyance found is with players glitching inside pillars of the Mines section of the map. A Reddit thread posted by Warzone player Aranonlas on January 19 shared a clip of them dying from a cheater that was glitched inside of a wall, making them impossible to see. In the clip, Aranonalas entered a building to be immediately mowed down by the cheater. Absolutely puzzled from where they were shot from, it was clear in the killcam that the other player was inside a wall. “Being able to hide in containers like that. Didn’t know Warzone is that realistic,” said Aranonlas. As it turns out, other players have had a similar experience when entering that building that is seemingly located in the Mines area of the Caldera map. “Oh sh*t, I died in that room and thought he was on a nasty heady,” said YouAreWeird. “Just realizing he was probably fazed into the container, good looking out! I will avoid.” When choosing your next drop in Caldera, it’s probably best to stay away from that area of the map until the Raven Software devs patch the bug.

Warzone cheaters openly mock anti-cheat with hacked usernames – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters openly mock anti-cheat with hacked usernames Activision / Raven SoftwareCheaters have been an ongoing issue in Warzone for some time, as lobbies were overrun with players breaking the rules. Now, as RICOCHET anti-cheat is working to solve the problem, the remaining hackers have begun openly mocking Raven Software. Almost every online multiplayer game has its fair share of cheaters to deal with, and Warzone has suffered more than most. Ever since its 2020 launch, the CoD battle royale has been plagued with hackers pulling off wall bangs and flying around the map. Thankfully, along with the release of Warzone Pacific Season 1, Raven Software introduced RICOCHET anti-cheat to tackle the issue. But despite an overall feeling of satisfaction among the community, some cheaters have still managed to slip through the cracks. The ones who have managed to stick around seem to be doing everything in their power to get one over in the developers. In fact, some have even resorted to blatantly taunting Raven with their in-game names and clan tags. In a post on the official Warzone SubReddit, user JimShirls showed how Warzone cheaters were mocking the devs. In a squad of four players, two of the members were named “@YesImHacking” and “ITz-NoT-LUCK” respectively. Meanwhile, a third player in the squad had also managed to change their clan tag to an image of the Raven Software logo. This clearly indicated that the team was hacking, and they wanted to let everyone, including the game’s creators, know. The poster also noted in a comment that the squad racked up around 70 kills. Anyone who has played Warzone will know that this is almost impossible without the help of cheats. This doesn’t appear to be the only instance of hackers mocking the developers. Other users commented saying they have bumped to players named “NiceAnticheat” and “ActivisionLOL.” It’s also not too dissimilar to the Apex Legends hackers who managed to break the game by adding emojis to their usernames. While many cheaters will try and slip under the radar, it appears that others don’t mind making it blatantly obvious. While there’s no doubt that the arrival of anti-cheat in Warzone is a huge step in the right direction, unfortunately, it appears that a handful of cheaters will always find their way in. But, fans can take comfort in the fact they are becoming a rarer and rarer sight.

Warzone cheaters instantly max out weapon levels with hacked lobbies – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters instantly max out weapon levels with hacked lobbies ActivisionEven though Call of Duty: Warzone is safeguarded by the RICOCHET anti-cheat software, cheaters are now rigging lobbies so that if a player scores one kill it will instantly max out that weapon’s level. It was always common knowledge that RICOCHET would be implemented as an adaptive anti-cheat system, meaning that cheaters and hackers would keep coming up with new methods, and RICOCHET would learn them and adapt to them. There has been little in the way of hackers in Warzone Pacific’s new Caldera map so far. However, the first major hack has become public knowledge, even affecting major streamers like Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatMan. During a recent stream, TimTheTatMan was messing around in a pre-match Warzone lobby and destroyed a player with the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle. All seemed normal until a delayed prompt confused both him and his fellow streamers. “Wait, it just said my gun went up to Level 70 with one kill. Homie, my gun is Level 70.” He went on to say that with that one kill, his gun went from “Level 8 to 70 I swear to god. It popped up on the screen Doc [Dr Disrespect] that’s the only reason I knew it.” Tim subsequently posted a tweet with footage of the incident. I think we have a problem @CallofDuty pic.twitter.com/ehNkCGuOpZ — timthetatman👑 (@timthetatman) December 21, 2021 Recent Call of Duty games have become quite notorious for having grindy XP systems, particularly for weapons. With a ton of attachments now available for most weapons, players are finding it tiresome to reach Level 70 to unlock all the best attachments. Not only that, but fans of the game are also becoming tired of sinking hours into a new meta gun, just for the devs to patch it out quickly. Whilst this glitch is obviously very useful as it can get players to Level 70 with any gun they desire, this will be a huge red flag for Raven Software and Activision. So don’t expect it to be in the game too much longer.

Warzone cheaters hit with mass ban wave after Season 2 Reloaded anti-cheat changes – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters hit with mass ban wave after Season 2 Reloaded anti-cheat changes ActivisionOver 25,000 Warzone cheaters have been banned with the start of Season 2 Reloaded as the devs have implemented a host of new anti-cheat changes. Cheating has always reared its head in Call of Duty, but it has become way more common over the last few years – especially with the introduction of Warzone. Everything from wall hacks, god mode, and beyond have cropped up time and time again. To counteract that, the devs introduced the Ricochet anti-cheat system, which has already shut down thousands of cheaters over the last few years. However, there have been complaints from players, claiming hackers can still get around it pretty regularly. The devs have still been rolling out updates to the anti-cheat and have continued to ban cheaters in massive waves – and that includes the start of Season 2 Reloaded as well. CoD devs ban thousands of Warzone players in Season 2 Reloaded On the back of the new update, which went live on March 6, the devs have banned over 26,000 accounts and added a host of new measures to combat different hacks. “#TeamRICOCHET Update: Our team has seen and share your frustrations about a rise in cheating reports. We remain focused on this fight,” the devs posted. “With the launch of Season 2 Reloaded we’ve deployed several aggressive upgrades, including: Fixes to combat flying vehicles with more on the way, New Mitigation: BOOM – vehicles that shouldn’t be airborne (or too airborne) may randomly explode, Enhanced protections and increased response times for kernel-level driver (PC), Speed optimizations for detections in Ranked Play, Third-party hardware device detection upgraded, and Over 26,000 bans today” They also added that they are continuing to development further changes, and these will come in “further updates.” So, if you drop into the battle royale soon and start seeing vehicles combusting out the sky, you know you were around a cheater and they’ve been dealt with.

Warzone cheaters hit with another ban wave as devs “step up” anti-cheat – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters hit with another ban wave as devs “step up” anti-cheat ActivisionWarzone developers Raven Software have confirmed yet another ban wave has happened in the battle royale game, as they look to tackle its rampant cheating issue. Hackers have been one of the key issues facing Warzone throughout much of its lifespan. Frustrating bugs and glitches aside, this is a problem that is driving players away and making it far less enjoyable. Top names such as NICKMERCS have already said they quit playing in tournaments due to how rampant the cheating issue is, and the devs have been forced to take action. On February 2, it was announced that they had banned 60,000 users that they had detected using cheats — but that might’ve just been the tip of the iceberg. A week after that ban wave, which received mixed reactions from the community, Raven have hit cheaters with yet another. In a tweet posted on February 9, Raven announced that they are “stepping up anti-cheat efforts on all fronts,” including another ban wave that day. They also added that there would be “more to come,” suggesting that players can look forward to more frequent ban waves in the future, with an aim to “keep Warzone clean!” Another ban wave today across #Warzone. Stepping up anti-cheat efforts on all fronts. More to come. Let’s keep Warzone clean! — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) February 9, 2021 Of course, many players will be hoping to see this become more of a common occurrence and see Raven take a far harsher and more proactive stance on hacking in Warzone. Popular streamer StoneMountain asked them to make ban waves daily, adding that they “make new accounts as soon as they are banned.” Just do daily ban waves, they make new accounts as soon as they are banned — StoneMountain (@StoneMountain64) February 10, 2021 Similarly, many of the responses are asking for the number of accounts banned in this ban wave, but Raven have not revealed it at the time of writing. How much this affects the hacking issue in-game, only time will tell, but it’s definitely a step forward and players seem delighted at the communication and knowledge that ban waves are happening.

Warzone cheaters have leaked unreleased football skins – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters have leaked unreleased football skins ActivisionWarzone cheaters may have leaked some of the upcoming Operator skins arriving in the Call of Duty battle royale hit, with football skins set to arrive in the store at some point. Cosmetics such as weapon camos and Operator skins have become increasingly popular over the years, and Call of Duty is definitely no exception. Popular collaborations with the likes of Scream and Godzilla vs King Kong have proven to be a hit among players who want the cosmetics to show off, with upcoming collabs — such as the announced one with The Terminator — no doubt going to be yet another hit. That said, there are also some very popular skins and camos that don’t come off the back of working with large film studios — and these may fall into that category, as cheaters are bringing new skins to the game for the first time once again. One thing some cheaters like to do is use unlock tools to add unreleased items to their inventory, be it blueprints, weapon camos, or anything else in between. Now, it’s football skins. These skins — shown below in a Reddit post from thehumantrypod — see operators donning a jersey and cleats as well as a classic football helmet. It’s unclear at the time of writing whether there are going to be personalization options available for the skins, with different colors or numbers available than those shown in this image. This skin looks different from those seen in Fortnite, where official NFL skins for each franchise made their way into the game and allowed players to rep their favorite colors. Instead, these seem to be more neutral, though that might not be the case if customization is possible. When we could expect these skins to officially arrive in Warzone is not yet clear, though if cheaters are unlocking them in-game, we should expect them before long.

Warzone cheaters have already discovered how to glitch into Rebirth Island walls – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters have already discovered how to glitch into Rebirth Island walls ActivisionWarzone’s cheaters never seem to rest as the new Rebirth Island map now has its own game-breaking issue that allows players to stay invincible inside various walls. It’s been a rough landing since the release of Rebirth Island with Warzone Season One. From infinite-respawn bugs to bizarre Loadout Drop issues, the new battleground has come with its fair share of problems. Despite dropping the overall lobby size and allowing for some faster games, cheaters are still on the loose trying to eke out free wins. One way they’re achieving success is through a classic bug that has found its way to the new location. Glitching inside of walls is nothing new to Warzone. In fact, it’s been an issue since the game launched back in March 2020. While Verdansk has seen these bugs squashed over time, Rebirth Island now has the problem back in full force. Midway through a regular match on January 4, Reddit user ‘3Dmo’ was wiped out in a peculiar way. Seemingly out of nowhere they started taking damage from inside. Bullets were flying out of a nearby wall, enough to take down a teammate before eventually wiping the squad. “What?” The player yelled as they switched to the Kill-Cam. As a surprise to everyone, these mysterious bullets were actually coming from a player hiding inside the wall. They had glitched inside part of the map and were somehow able to shoot through the texture in front of them. Not only that, but they also had an ATV inside the wall with them. They appeared to hop on the vehicle at the last moment of the Kill-Cam, but there’s no telling if they could actually drive around inside the map. How this instance of the map-breaking glitch occurred is unknown for now. Though it’s clearly enough to ruin the experience for anyone nearby. Be sure to keep on the lookout if you’re ever near this side of the map. Obviously, you could just run away and ignore the cheating player. Though if the circle happens to shrink around that location, there’s no way around this bug. Flash grenades seem to have an effect, but shooting back simply isn’t an option. Developers are yet to respond to this particular issue. Similar bugs were quickly patched out of Verdansk, however. So expect a fix to be deployed relatively soon.

Warzone cheaters harass lobbies with teleporting helicopters – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters harass lobbies with teleporting helicopters ActivisionCheaters continue to plague the Warzone player base, with their latest exploit involving helicopters that teleport out of the planet’s atmosphere, making them impossible to deal with. As the latest cheat takes hold, fans have voiced their frustration with the lack of action from devs. Cheating in Warzone is nothing new. The battle royale has been beleaguered by the problem for some time now. Warzone players have seen aim bots, spin bots, wall-tracking, and even immunity to stuns and flashes. Now, in the latest exploit to hit the servers, cheaters are piloting helicopters outside of the planet’s atmosphere, and somehow still managing to eliminate entire enemy squads from the edge of the earth. Without any ability to target the helicopters, rule-abiding players are left to suffer defeat. Warzone’s anti-cheat system, Ricochet, is supposed to detect and punish cheaters — but players feel it’s not doing enough to tackle the problem of late. One player recently shared footage of their own encounter with the teleporting helicopters to Reddit, asking the question, “How is this even possible with Ricochet?” “Ricochet is one of the worst anti-cheats on the market!” Reads the top comment on the thread. It also claims there is older anti-cheat functionality that could address the problems faced by Warzone. “It often doesn’t have to be some fancy kernal level anti-cheat.” The user said, expressing their frustration with the reoccurring problem. Ricochet did implement a wave of account bans recently. But it seems this hasn’t deterred those willing to purchase and run cheats in the game. “I just think cheating has gotten too big to fail now,” one player said. Adding cheaters are able to hack for months before “even catching a shadow ban.” “At some point this game is just going to be software fighting other software and the “player” will be holding the controller pretending they’re playing the game…” another lamented. While others were more cynical: “Cheaters buy skins and battle passes, why would they ban them?” “They could stop cheaters right now if they actually wanted to, but they don’t.” Another agreed. While Activision and Infinity Ward have said they’re committed to dealing with cheaters, it seems the fans don’t have a lot of faith they’ll deliver on that promise.

Warzone cheaters flaunt hacks on TikTok as players blast RICOCHET – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters flaunt hacks on TikTok as players blast RICOCHET ActivisionWarzone cheaters have been brazenly sharing clips of their hacking to TikTok – as legitimate players of the CoD battle royale express concerns over the strength of RICOCHET anti-cheat. Since Warzone’s launch back in March of 2020, there has been no bigger topic among players, pros and developers than cheating. Hackers have proved incredibly resilient and difficult to get rid of, prompting the launch of RICOCHET – Activision’s own dedicated anti-cheat system. Even since RICOCHET launched, plenty of players have expressed concerns about the ongoing prevalence of cheaters in standard matches. It’s fair to say that any player with a few games under their belt will have encountered an opponent cheating. Now, Warzone cheaters are flaunting their hacks via TikTok, all while legitimate Warzone players demand improvements to RICOCHET. The TikTok was posted on Reddit with the description: “Blatant cheater on TikTok. Thanks, RICOCHET.” Attached was a TikTok from account ‘realcutzbychris’, showing a Warzone player blatantly using wallhacks. Enemy outlines are visible through multiple layers, and the cheater is able to rack up numerous kills as a result. Even more frustrating is the timing of the TikToks, coinciding with a perceived uptick in the number of cheaters and hackers on Warzone. One player asked: “Did they turn off the anti-cheat today? I’ve never reported anyone for cheating before, but all of a sudden I’m getting beamed with an assault rifle from 500 meters away through trees. Watching them from spectate, they’re snapping between players, beaming them all around the map.” Another echoed the comments, saying: “Anyone notice there is an increase of rage cheats with spinbots, wallhack, aimbots currently?” Players will be hoping that RICOCHET proves more robust than it first appears, with Warzone’s cheating problems remaining notoriously difficult to manage.

Warzone cheaters evolve: CoD hackers can now avoid RICOCHET anti-cheat entirely – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters evolve: CoD hackers can now avoid RICOCHET anti-cheat entirely ActivisionWarzone cheaters have seemingly stepped it up as CoD hackers have found a way to all but avoid Activision’s RICOCHET anti-cheat system, avoiding detection at every turn. Cheating has plagued the Call of Duty franchise for years now. From the early days of Warzone in 2020, aimbots and wallhacks alike became increasingly prevalent. It got so bad, in fact, thousands fled the game in droves purely due to the cheating crisis making it “unplayable.” It wasn’t until the tail end of 2021 devs finally stepped in. RICOCHET, a proprietary anti-cheat system built from the ground up for CoD, was designed to stamp out the problem. For a while, it did just that. However, it wasn’t long before pesky players figured out ways to work around the system and now, once again, things are worse than ever. Cheaters have been running rampant not only in the CoD Battle Royale, but in Modern Warfare 3 as well. And while devs have been hustling to remedy the resurging issue, cheaters have evolved yet again to all but avoid RICOCHET entirely. A video from ‘NukeJesus‘ on YouTube began making the rounds on February 27, one that showcased a particular ‘evolution’ in CoD cheating history. According to the clip, cheaters have now found a way to all but entirely avoid detection. “When you get a bunch of reports on your account, the anti-cheat is taking pictures of you constantly, screenshots of your game,” they explained. “What some of these tools do that these cheat providers have, is it can detect when you’re about to get a screenshot, and it will literally turn off your cheats for a millisecond, take the screenshot, then your cheats will turn back on.” In the blink of an eye, all running in the background without any manual control required, this software can temporarily shut down and then restart, all in order to avoid RICOCHET’s detection system. In some instances, it can even happen “multiple times a game,” meaning the cheating software is advanced enough to repeat the process at will. The relevant clip begins at the 6:25 mark below. “They’re pretty ahead of the game,” they continued. “RICOCHET is lacking big time.” Activision is yet to respond to this particular development in the CoD scene, though it’s clear players are hoping for a resolution to arrive much sooner than later. We’ll be sure to update you here with any further details as they emerge.

Warzone cheaters brag about using wall-hacks while streaming on Twitch – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters brag about using wall-hacks while streaming on Twitch ActivisionA group of Warzone cheaters were caught out ‘aimbotting’ and using wall-hacks while streaming live on Twitch, and the players were gloating the entire time, seemingly not bothered by a potential Activision ban. Cheating has been one of the most controversial issues in Warzone since the free to play title released in March 2020. Despite constant public backlash, anti-cheat still hasn’t come into effect. As a result, cheaters and hackers can essentially run wild. This is exactly what ‘hiddenintcloud’ and his group of cheating friends did. For roughly three hours, they tore through Verdansk while live on Twitch. Viewers could clearly see their hacks in action and the players simply laughed it all off. “None of us are worried about getting banned right now,” one of them said while dropping into a fresh lobby. “As soon as I get shadowbanned I’ll be on a different account. It won’t take me long.” A Warzone hacker is streaming live on Twitch saying he doesn’t care if they get banned because they’ll just “”be on another account”” 🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/jChFkNUujD — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) January 17, 2021 They were using multiple cheats all at once. First up was the wall-hack that allowed them to see all sorts of information across the entire battlefield. From outlines of enemy players to labels for loot on the ground, they could see everything. On top of that, they also had a powerful aimbot doing the heavy lifting for them. Their scopes would instantly lock on to the heads of enemy players. In the blink of an eye, entire squads could be wiped out by their impossible accuracy. To make matters worse, they had no intention of changing their playstyle anytime soon. Hacks were just a laugh to them due to the lack of any real consequence. If their current account was banned, they would take two minutes on-stream to hop over to a different account. Thankfully, Activision Support latched onto our Dexerto Intel tweet showcasing the cheaters. Moments after Activision was made aware of the stream, these players had multiple accounts banned. Hey Steven, thanks for bringing this to my attention! Can you please DM me a link to his stream please? Thanks! ^RZ https://t.co/c9WoAfwenP — Activision Support (@ATVIAssist) January 17, 2021 Despite this action, hackers have been able to change accounts without punishment for a number of months now. Given that Warzone is free to play, there’s no paywall to combat hackers in any meaningful way. In fact, Facebook streamer Boricua Rage recently explained how he lost 80 Warzone accounts in an earlier banwave. Though even still, he has “a buddy who hooks up” fresh accounts to this day. As Call of Duty League players and Warzone veterans caught wind of the channel, viewership gradually began to rise. Over 350 people were watching them blatantly cheat at one point without any consequence from either Activision or Twitch. There are no signs of this type of cheating going away anytime soon. Activision rarely acknowledged hackers outside of the odd banwave. Until Warzone comes with a more sophisticated anti-cheat system that can detect these hacks in an instant, players won’t be deterred.

Warzone cheaters are winning by vanishing from final circle – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters are winning by vanishing from final circle Raven SoftwareWarzone Pacific players are hard at work to master the new map Caldera, but cheaters continue to baffle squads, especially when they aren’t present in the final circle. Caldera, the long-awaited overhaul for Warzone, arrived for CoD players on December 9. However, some players are becoming frustrated, as their chances of victory are been squashed by cheaters defying the game’s limits. Getting a dub is tough enough, but it’s made even harder when you can’t see your enemies. Cheaters are hiding to secure Warzone wins The build-up to the final circle in Warzone is incredibly tense, but cheaters are draining the game of any fun as an exploit allows them to hide from view. Captured by Reddit user u/picklejuice33, their match was cut short of victory as they scrambled to spot any potential threats. With the advent of RICOCHET anti-cheat, players hoped that issues like this wouldn’t persist as a new era of Warzone began. There are plenty of theories as to how the winning duo broke the game, but some players have speculated it to be a visual bug: “With how broken this game is, it was probably just a bug rather than cheaters,” said Warzone player UltraContrarian. The more common theory put forward is that the winners survived through aggressive Stim usage: “It’s just Stims and munitions. A quad with 10-20k each can live about 5minutes in gas,” u/mrgrimshawn1 commented. “Could just be another in a long line of bugs. We are long overdue for the stim glitch’s return,” another player added, noting the possible unfortunate return of the Stim bug that plagued Warzone before. As the developers add more content into the New Year, hopefully, Warzone Pacific will be patched up for another battle.

Warzone cheaters are hiding under map to kill Easter egg hunters – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters are hiding under map to kill Easter egg hunters ActivisionWarzone players attempting to complete the Season 6 Easter egg are growing increasingly frustrated as cheaters are hiding under the map to kill them before they complete it. Easter egg hunters quickly deciphered what they had to do at the start of Season 6 to earn the Firebrand Bruen Mk9 blueprint, and as a result you’ll often see players landing at the bank in Downtown to kick off their journey to unlocking the weapon. That said, as often happens, there are a small base of players who want to ruin other people’s fun in any way possible. It’s one thing dropping at the bank and simply trying to take opponents in an equal gunfight, but some players are going one step further and glitching under the map with the sole intention of killing those trying to complete the Easter egg. Obviously, it’s annoying enough to die to someone that is so clearly cheating and not even bothering to hide it, but it steps up a level when you’re dedicating time (and sometimes a lot of it) to complete a task, and you have no chance of shooting back. That’s exactly what NinjaSawce discovered when he headed to the Verdansk airport subway station to complete the final step of the Easter egg before being given access to the secret blueprint bunker, and was promptly killed by an enemy that was completely invisible. It wasn’t until the killcam that NinjaSawce realized the player was directly underneath him, out of bounds and running freely below the map, killing him as he started to put the final code into the computer. Some players have reported this happening to them since the start of Season 6, but it appears more players are starting to discover the trick of getting below the map, and the Warzone devs will likely be hard at work trying to find a fix for this as soon as possible. Until then, though, you’ll want to be super cautious when trying to complete the Easter egg, or even when just using the Verdansk airport subway, because you never know who could be lurking underneath.

Warzone cheaters are getting free kills by glitching under Fortune’s Keep map – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters are getting free kills by glitching under Fortune’s Keep map ActivisionWarzone cheaters have always loved glitching out of the map to earn free kills and be invisible to their opponents, and now Fortune’s Keep is being ruined by them too. For as long as Call of Duty has been a thing, players have been finding ways to glitch out of maps and hide in invisible spots from opponents, able to rack up easy kills and wins. Battle royale hit Warzone has been no different, with players across each and every map finding cheap ways to exploit the boundaries of the map and kill unsuspecting opponents. While this issue hasn’t been as rampant since the Vanguard integration and the introduction of Warzone Pacific, it’s not completely unheard of — but now players are ruining Fortune’s Keep with these glitches too. Fortune’s Keep is still fairly fresh in Warzone, a newer alternative to Rebirth Island for players looking to get in and out of the action as quickly as possible. It became an immediate hit among players, who quickly swarmed to the new map that is perhaps the most popular in Warzone since Verdansk, which players are still pining to see return. As always, though, some people have got to ruin the fun. It’s a rarity on Fortune’s Keep, but players are starting to discover that you can glitch under the map, as Worried-Rain-8323 learned the hard way in the clip below. Traversing across the map as the player count started to dwindle, Rain was running into the circle when they got hastily gunned down by an opponent they couldn’t see. It wasn’t until they watched the killcam that they realized a player was simply hiding underneath the map, waiting for opponents to run past before gunning them down. While this isn’t a new phenomenon in Call of Duty, it’s especially frustrating in Warzone where you might not have the opportunity to simply respawn and return to battle. Hopefully, developers Raven Software will get this fixed sooner rather than later.

Warzone cheaters are abusing under-the-map glitches to get easy wins again in Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters are abusing under-the-map glitches to get easy wins again in Caldera ActivisionWarzone Pacific is under threat once more, this time from players exploiting the legendary ‘under-the-map’ glitch in Call of Duty which has made an unwelcome return. Call of Duty: Warzone has, unfortunately, had to deal with a recurring instance of its maps having exploitable holes that allow players to sneak under the map and abuse these out-of-bounds spots. Verdansk was rife with the issue across its numerous seasons and Caldera has had its own problems with the Capital POI being exploited. It’s been a quiet time the last few weeks with no discernable glitches ruining the game and players looking forward to Season 4, however, there is evidence that a map exploit is souring the experience of Caldera again. Warzone Pacific map glitch ruining games If you’re not sure what the under-the-map glitch is, basically, the map can have some textures that look normal but you can walk through. This allows you to go under the confines of the map, see the other players, and shoot them. Reddit user jmophoto alerted the official Warzone forum with a simple warning message: “I regret to inform you all that the under-the-map exploits are back” In an attached video, the player was running around in the ‘Fields’ Bunker, and a few seconds into the footage we saw them getting mercilessly gunned down by a possibly spectral force. Upon closer inspection of the footage, you realize that wasn’t the case. In the Killcam, the opponent was clearly located somewhere under the map and wasn’t visible, yet they were able to shoot the player without any repercussions. The comments for the video were all pretty similar with one person saying: “Is anyone really surprised?” and another commenting: “Haha same old with this game.” As with all these glitches, once they gain some exposure, we expect Raven will patch it and prevent players from exploiting the area. Then you have to hope this is the last instance of under-the-map glitches in Warzone.

Warzone cheaters apparently worse than ever after update: “Making it unplayable” – Dexerto
Warzone cheaters apparently worse than ever after update: “Making it unplayable” ActivisionWarzone players believe there has been another influx of cheaters as they’ve become pretty prevalent again around the recent June 3rd update. Just like many other multiplayer games, Warzone has had its fair share of issues with cheaters and hackers. It’s not uncommon to drop into a game on Verdansk and have to deal with someone who is using wallhacks or an aimbot. Raven Software have ramped up their efforts to get rid of these cheats, shutting down over 500,000 accounts and cheat selling websites – even shadowbanning cheaters so they can only play against each other. As a result, there has been a period of play where cheaters are not as common as before. However, players believe something has changed because cheats are back in full force. Warzone players across social media have been complaining about having games ruined by cheats again, asking why they’ve become so prevalent yet again. “I thought taking a few days off would reset my matchmaking and get put into softer lobbies. but first game, got tracked by a wall hacker,” said one player. “I’d say every lobby has about 2 cheaters. Whether or not you encounter them or they are good enough to stay alive or not get shot in the back is a different story,” added another. Warzone streamer Drakota has also had issues, running into cheaters in three of his four games. “Warzone is in a great spot :)” he sarcastically said. 4 games so far today. 1 – Stream snipers accusing me of VPN, showed geo and everything 2 – Cheater 3 – Cheater 4 – CheaterWarzone is in a great spot 🙂 — Drakota (@DrakotaTV) June 5, 2021 Some players suggested that cheaters are more noticeable now casual fans have stopped playing, meaning that lobbies are populated with more high-ranked players, which are where cheaters live. “Literally every match I play for the last 5 days has had varying levels of cheaters. Lots of wall hackers around then you sprinkle in the soft lock/aim bots. This is the worst I have ever seen so far,” added Redditor TrendKiller. “It is making it unplayable. Never has it been so bad which is a huge shame as aside from the cheaters the game has never been better,” said another. Raven have been dropping ban waves with regularity recently, but it remains to be seen if they have one lined up for these issues, but players will be hoping something changes.
