Warzone cheaters apparently “back with a vengeance” in Caldera after update ActivisionDespite Activision’s anti-cheat system RICOCHET being live in-game, many players are reporting that cheating in Warzone Pacific Season One is only getting worse. While Warzone has been an undeniable success since its 2020 launch, the game has been marred by significant issues with cheaters. For those reasons, Activision’s announcement of a dedicated anti-cheat system, called RICOCHET, was more than welcomed by the community. It was implemented in December and has been complemented by concerted legal efforts on Activision’s behalf to close down cheat providers. However, despite the now-public attempts to quell hackers, many reports in early 2022 suggest that the problems are only getting worse. One Redditor reported encountering cheaters in almost every match, commenting: “I’ve run into 4 cheaters since last night and now. Very blatant and it is making me concerned with the integrity of the anti-cheat. What has changed?” Another echoed the sentiments, suggesting it is “getting worse.” They said: “I swear, hackers just came back with a vengeance. I’ve been running resurgence for a couple hours and I haven’t found a lobby yet that I’m not getting traced through walls and snapped on like I’m playing GTA. What gives? Did I miss the memo where we all started using hacks on the same day or something?” Plenty of other players echoed the comments, with one saying: “I hadn’t seen a single cheater since Caldera dropped, like a full month of cheater free games, and now all of a sudden it’s back to business as usual, blatant cheaters in almost every game, what happened?” Some did caveat the accusations by suggesting that players are so wary of opponents cheating that they accuse anyone with good aim of being a hacker, but the frequency of complaints does suggest that cheaters are becoming more prevalent. Others suggested that cheaters and hackers may have upped their game in getting less detectable cheats, though, its hard to know for sure on that front. Here’s hoping RICOCHET proves robust and effective in the long run.

Warzone cheater goes viral after embarrassing mistake costs them win – Dexerto
Warzone cheater goes viral after embarrassing mistake costs them win ActivisionCall of Duty Warzone players can’t stop laughing at a blatant cheater who threw away an almost certain victory as the pressure seemed a little bit too much. Cheating has always been an issue in multiplayer games. If players want to find a way to get a leg up on the competition, they will. That’s only grown with the rise of battle royales too. Warzone has, and continues to have, its fair share of cheaters. Raven Software is clamping down on hackers and cheats, but if you drop into a game in Verdansk or on Rebirth Island, you’re almost certainly going to run into a cheater. By far and away the most popular cheats are aimbots and wallhacks, letting hackers lock on to enemies without missing a shot. This usually leads to wins, but as we’ve seen before, not every cheater has the awareness to finish the job and pick up a win. Legitimate Warzone players love to poke fun at cheaters who find themselves going back to the main menu because of a mistake or they’re just not good enough to beat another player. Read More: Warzone Season 2 Reloaded: Patch notes – Well, one cheater has gone viral thanks to Reddit user AfnanMK, who showed the hacker making a major mistake. The cheater, who was in a top-three situation, gunned down one enemy near Hospital, before moving towards their body to score some loot. However, as they were shooting the enemy beforehand, they’d also managed to spray into the truck behind them, causing it to blow up seconds later. This sent the hacker back to the lobby and probably left the 13 people watching them in hysterics. Other players poked fun at their expense too as the clip took over Reddit. “Can’t hack your way to having basic situational awareness,” said one user. “You love to see it,” added another. Highlighting cheaters gives Raven a chance to swing the banhammer, given their username is on full display, but it’s an even nicer touch when they slip up in an embarrassing fashion.

Warzone cheater furious after being eliminated by fellow hacker on stream – Dexerto
Warzone cheater furious after being eliminated by fellow hacker on stream ActivisionCheating has run rampant in Warzone and ruined the experience for many, but sometimes the tables hilariously get turned on hackers by their fellow cheaters. For the longest time, Warzone players have had to deal with cheaters in one form or another. Some go all out and use God Mode hacks – making them invincible – while others still to wallhacks and aimbots. The rise of cheating has pushed many players to ditch Warzone and pick up something different – mainly Apex Legends – but plenty of players have stuck around too, as Raven Software and Activision attempt to stamp out the hacking. With hacks being prevalent in pretty much every lobby at this point, it’s hard to not run into a cheater, but sometimes, even cheaters can’t escape the clutches of their fellow hackers. Redditor DingDingDongDotJPG pointed to a clip from Facebook Gaming streamer HackingFredward who was using wallhacks in a game of Warzone and spotted an enemy looking his way. Even though he was trying to get into some action for the viewers, the cheating streamer’s game wasn’t about to last too long given they’d been seen. Though, he didn’t predict just how he was going to be eliminated. After being gunned down, he suggested that something wasn’t quite right. “Oh, he’s cheating bro!” the streamer called out. “Come on, you saw the walls there. Everybody is cheating in this game, holy s**t.” While many couldn’t believe just how easy the cheats made the game for the hackers, plenty of others couldn’t help but laugh at the cheater on cheater violence.

Warzone cheater exposes their hacks in the dumbest way possible – Dexerto
Warzone cheater exposes their hacks in the dumbest way possible Twitch, @therealgiooo / ActivisionA Call of Duty: Warzone hacker tried to defend themself from accusations on stream, only to expose their cheats in a ridiculous way. Trying to pretend he didn’t know about a hack website, he accidentally revealed just how familiar he really is. The internet has existed for long enough that people are pretty aware of how hyperlinks work. When you haven’t visited a site, it’s typically blue. When you have visited a site before, its color changes to purple. ‘Therealgiooo’ was accused of cheating in Warzone and, when someone mentioned the hacks website, he feigned innocence. Pretending he didn’t know what accusers were talking about, he decided to Google “Google” on stream and then search for the website itself. Once the search results came up… the page, as well as its “Warzone,” “Forum,” and “Purchase” links were all purple. He immediately swapped screens, but not before people realized and showed the internet his dumb mistake. Viral TikTok shows Warzone hacker exposing their hacks in silly way Cheater exposes himself while LIVE KEKW pls share ❤️ pic.twitter.com/HqB3hbmQJQ — Fin (@phonizien_) November 23, 2021 As you can see from the clip, Gio gets accused of hacking and decides to play it off. Someone mentions the cheat website where you get the magnetic aim he was using, to which he responds “you said ‘EngineOwning,’ what the f**k is that?” Then he goes ahead, continuing the bit, pretending that he doesn’t know what EO is and searching it online. A moment later, the site pops up and all of its links are purple, and Gio lets out a priceless “oh” and switches screens. At the moment, the video has almost 1 million views on TikTok. Top comments range from calling him the “clown of the year” and making fun of him for googling Google. Warzone hacker threatens to ‘fry routers’ after being exposed This is what he said on his discord you have a fan now 😂 pic.twitter.com/ldwCZ80rKA — JustOutofJail (@JailOutof) November 24, 2021 In response to the entire situation, Gio has a new plan of action. According to his Discord, he allegedly intends to “fry [accusers’] routers” and use bots to report their Twitch channels. For those who think the accusations are baseless, despite the purple links, others have pointed to his CoD stats. His CoD Tracker shows that he went from an impressive 3.2 K/D to a practically unfathomable 10.09 K/D with 50% headshot accuracy. His Twitch channel has already been banned and one has to assume his Activision accounts will struggle once the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat drops. Still, Warzone hackers being exposed isn’t anything new. Exposing themselves while pretending not to know what people are talking about, though? Now that’s a first.

Warzone cheater exposes how easy it is to hack and not get banned – Dexerto
Warzone cheater exposes how easy it is to hack and not get banned Activision / Infinity WardYou either die to a Warzone hacker, or play long enough to see yourself become the hacker. Warzone’s hacking problem continues to run rampant and things have seemingly gotten worse in Season 1. In fact, it’s now a rare sight to find a lobby devoid of any forms of cheating. Things have gotten so bad that Call of Duty players like NICKMERCS have quit competitive Warzone tournaments for good, while Vikkstar has quit Warzone until the issue is fixed. Frustratingly, Activision has yet to find a definitive solution to the increasing wave of hackers that ruin the game’s lobbies. Not only do hackers deprive normal players of any well-earned wins, they also keep competitive players from doing their jobs. However, one Warzone hacker has explained why they turned to the dark side. Why do people cheat in Warzone? During a recent livestream of Warzone, Call of Duty Twitch streamer exzachtt managed to speak to a Warzone hacker. Not only did exzachtt get some interesting insights into why people cheat, but he also managed to find out how easy it is for hackers to bypass Warzone’s anti-cheat system. After watching the cheater run rampant across Verdansk, exzachtt decided to add them to a party in order to find out exactly why they cheat. “The game is so broken, there are so many hackers in this game that I thought, you know what, let me try it out,” says the Warzone cheater. The allure of hacking is obviously incredibly strong for many Warzone players, particularly given how ineffective Activision’s current anti-cheat system is. “The only way [Activision] are going to do anything about it, is if enough [hackers] get reported. Because eventually, you’re going to join a lobby and there’s going to be 147 hackers and three people.” This statement, while extreme, does hold some forms of truth to it. After all, it’s becoming increasingly uncommon to play in lobbies without any forms of cheating going on. Many Warzone hackers have been brazen enough to stream their escapades, while others have even infiltrated the competitive scene. How easy is it to cheat in Warzone? When exzachtt asked how long this particular cheater had been hacking for, the aim-botter stated that he had been ruining games for three to four months. Exzachtt was obviously taken aback by this statement, saying “Wait, you’ve been hacking for four months and you still have not got banned?!” “Oh, I’ve been banned multiple times,” explains the hacker. “I have a rotation of about 30 accounts that I rotate through. When you get banned, all they do is shadowban you because you’ve been suspected of cheating. However, when they pull your game logs and game files, there’s no hardware to show that you are cheating.” According to the hacker, Activision only shadowban players suspected of cheating for eight days. This is essential a slap on the wrist and does little to obviously dissuade cheaters from simply playing on another account, or waiting for the shadowban to be lifted. “You know how every Tuesday they update the game? Usually, by 8 or 9 pm EST, we can get back on because the hack is updated, explains the hacker. “When they update the game, they change the coding of the game. They pull the game files and then they work around that to get the hack back up.” After hacking for four months, this particular Warzone cheater has only had one account permabanned so far. There’s also the problem of how cheap it is to hack in Call of Duty, with some sites having an entry fee of as little as $10. Despite Activision targeting these cheat websites, it seems that their efforts have done little to crush the current cheating problem that continues to ruin the game.

Warzone cheat website shuts down in fear of Activision lawsuit – Dexerto
Warzone cheat website shuts down in fear of Activision lawsuit Activision / PixabayWith Call of Duty: Warzone’s recent action against hackers, it seems that another cheat website is biting the dust. Reportedly concerned about an Activision-Blizzard lawsuit, a hack provider has shut down all their CoD services. Free-to-play titles like Warzone can easily become a safe haven for hackers, who are able to simply create new accounts whenever they’re punished. But the game’s developers have started swinging the pendulum in their favor. Starting with the kernel-level driver introduced by Ricochet Anti-Cheat, CoD’s devs are steadily curbing their cheating problems. Now, following a lawsuit against one of the biggest hack websites, others are taking notice. According to a statement posted to their Telegram account, Cynical Software are shutting down all Warzone and CoD cheating products. Warzone cheat provider shuts down amid Activision legal efforts Cheat provider Cynical Software announced in their public Telegram channel today that they are immediately stopping sales of CoD related hacks & cheats as they don’t want to get sued. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) January 5, 2022 With Activision-Blizzard taking aim at EngineOwning, it appears that a trickle-down effect is in play. EO is known as one of the biggest cheat providers and Activision’s lawsuit calls for a maximum of $2,500 per violation, equating to “millions of dollars” owed. That context sets an intimidating precedent for other cheat providers, who may not like the idea of battling Activision over millions. As such, Cynical Software didn’t wait a full 24 hours before deciding to shut down their services too. In their Telegram announcement, the hack service explained that “all CoD related titles have been removed from the store and are no longer available to purchase.” This is good news for normal players, but unideal for cheaters – who have already been enraged by bans anyway. Of concern, though, is the fact that the company plans to keep their “Cleaner” and “P00fer” products online. These services allow PC users to cleanse or “spoof” their hardware, as a way to circumvent bans. It remains unclear if Activision will find a way to target spoofers next, but Warzone players are already encouraged by the fact that cheat websites are taking note of legal action.

Warzone cheat provider defies Activision lawsuit with new Vanguard hacks – Dexerto
Warzone cheat provider defies Activision lawsuit with new Vanguard hacks ActivisionNotorious Warzone cheat provider EngineOwning isn’t backing down from releasing new hacks despite Activision taking them to court. On January 4, Activision filed a major lawsuit against the German company alleging that their hacks had resulted in “millions of dollars” in damages. News of the lawsuit had ripple effects throughout the cheat industry with competitor Cynical Software announcing they would no longer sell CoD-related hacks at the risk of being sued. While it would seem like the targets of the lawsuit, EngineOwning, would be quick to close up shop as well, this isn’t the case at all. On the contrary, they’re doing just the opposite and are pushing back against Activision. EngineOwning revamps CoD hacks amid lawsuit On January 6, the infamous hack company announced that their Vanguard cheat had been updated and was now working again. Although it is unclear how well the cheat is selling given Vanguard has the same amount of Twitch viewers as people literally sleeping. Amusingly, in a show of customer service (because cheat providers are savvy businessmen too, we suppose) they compensated subscribers by adding eight bonus days to active subscriptions. Additionally, EO said that they have updates in the works for spoofing software to prevent active users from being banned by Activison’s newest anti-cheat Ricochet. Dear Customers, our Vanguard Cheat has been updated and is fully working again. Lost subscription time has been compensated and an additional 8 bonus days have been added to all active subscriptions. Updates to our HWID Spoofer will follow soon.— EngineOwning.to (@engineowningto) January 6, 2022 The move to update its software comes after the site bizarrely posted a video of in-development Overwatch wallhacks amid news of Activision’s lawsuit. We’ll have to wait and see how the lawsuit and these hacks develop, but it seems like neither party is blinking as Activision ramps up its fight in the war against cheaters.

Warzone cheat provider allegedly stealing & mining Bitcoin from buyers’ PCs – Dexerto
Warzone cheat provider allegedly stealing & mining Bitcoin from buyers’ PCs Activision/BitcoinA Warzone cheat provider has been accused of stealing Bitcoin from customers’ PCs, and even using them to mine Bitcoin, according to users. In a number of leaked messages from a Warzone hacking Discord server, members have claimed that cheat provider ‘Cobalt Solutions’ is stealing from them and also using their PCs to mine Bitcoin. The leaked Discord messages, from a user called ‘Xav,’ warns others in the server to stop using Cobalt Solutions for their hacking needs, as allegations were made against the company. “They’ve stolen $900 today alone,” Xav said. “No telling how much they have in the past.” A Warzone cheat provider is being accused of stealing BTC from their users and mining BTC on their PCs 😬 This behavior isn’t unheard of in the industry, so it’s not really a surprise. pic.twitter.com/tuXqT3kAHZ — Mavriq (@MavriqGG) April 24, 2022 In the other messages, one of the accusers complained about the provider secretly installing things on their PC, saying that it’s even more frustrating “because it’s a good cheat,” before making the Bitcoin mining claims. Cobalt Solutions respond to Bitcoin stealing accusations Shortly after the above tweets started to be shared far and wide among the Warzone community, Cobalt Solutions responded to accusations made, addressing users and customers on Discord and even making an offer to anyone able to prove any wrongdoing. The message reads: “If anyone is able to concretely prove that Cobalt is a rat through reverse engineered assembly, I will personally shut down Cobalt and provide $20k to the person who proved it … I’ve made this announcement many times and everyone who claimed it’s a rat has ignored/blocked me after requesting concrete evidence.” They’ve issued a response to this tweet and are refuting the allegations. They say if anyone can concretely prove the allegations through reverse engineering that they will shut down the cheat and personally give $20k to whoever provides the proof. pic.twitter.com/uhjqPRd89H — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) April 24, 2022 This is reportedly not a new practice for cheat providers, with other games such as Rainbow Six Siege apparently being targeted by bitcoin-mining cheat providers in the past, too. Whether it’s true or not is as yet unclear, but users will no doubt be investigating further and, more than likely, finding their Warzone cheats elsewhere.

Warzone cheat makers troll devs as hacker problem rages on – Dexerto
Warzone cheat makers troll devs as hacker problem rages on ActivisionAs players drive away from Warzone in their hordes, largely because of the cheating problem, one of the biggest cheat makers are trolling the game’s devs online, joking about their work for all to see. Hacking has always been a huge issue that the Warzone devs have struggled to get a grip of, despite numerous ban waves. It’s grown so bad that, with Season 4 starting to wrap up, a huge number of players and top content creators are migrating away from Warzone for the foreseeable future, instead opting for competitors like Apex Legends, which has just launched a content-loaded new season. With the developers’ failure to really get a handle on hacking, the cheat websites are now going so far as to troll the developer Raven Software on Twitter. On August 3, Raven officially added the much-awaited CX-9 SMG to Warzone. It seems like it could slot into the meta somewhere and cause some damage in Verdansk, but players quickly realized that there were serious issues leveling it up and doing unlock challenges. Read More: Best Warzone CX-9 class – Raven were quick to address this (now resolved) issue, posting to Twitter that they were aware of it and linking to their public Trello board, where they track issues with their game. It was quickly responded to, however, by popular cheat makers EngineOwning, who put a customer service spin on their response. “Sorry to hear this!” they said. “In case you still wanna use it, our Unlock All Feature unlocks all guns including the CX-9.” Sorry to hear this! In case you still wanna use it, our Unlock All Feature unlocks all guns including the CX-9— EngineOwning.to (@engineowningto) August 3, 2021 The tweet picked up a huge amount of interaction, with even ardent anti-cheat activists finding the humor in the situation. That wasn’t all, though: they later responded to the Raven tweet saying the issue had been resolved, thanking them for being “a company we can trust” before prodding them to make an anti-cheat. Phew, what a relief! Finally a company we can trust and that delivers so much needed fixes! 🙏 Who, if not you, is able to guarantee that everything can be unlocked. I don’t know who could.Next fix anti-cheat? 👁️👄👁️ — EngineOwning.to (@engineowningto) August 4, 2021 It goes without saying that the cheat makers have grown an unprecedented level of confidence, and to their credit, Activision have done little to diminish that. In another post, EngineOwning joked that players should use “RAVENANTICHEAT” as a code in the shop. Use coupon “”RAVENANTICHEAT”” in our shop to get 15% off. pic.twitter.com/s0kHQDYeWJ — EngineOwning.to (@engineowningto) August 4, 2021 Players still wait in the hope for competent anti-cheat software to be added to Warzone to put a stop to the hacking, but for now, it seems the hackers are winning.

Warzone cheat creators claim devs “disabled anti-cheat” as hacking reaches new heights – Dexerto
Warzone cheat creators claim devs “disabled anti-cheat” as hacking reaches new heights ActivisionHacking in Warzone has been a consistent issue for some time now, and as it takes over Ranked Play, some are claiming the anti-cheat system is disabled. Cheating in Warzone, or Call of Duty in general, is something the player base has unfortunately grown accustomed to. Clips of cheats surface daily, and Warzone is the prime target, as cheaters perform otherwordly absurdities. The most recent wave of cheats showed players teleporting helicopters outside the playable space. Ricochet, the anti-cheat system, is supposed to help combat this and many other forms of cheating, but it’s certainly left fans wondering if it’s working as intended. As a new hack takes over Warzone, players are starting to claim the worst outcome has taken place, and that’s the possibility that Ricochet is offline. Warzone cheaters claim anti-cheat has been disabled Warzone streamer, Lenun, had an unfortunate experience with hackers in-game. In a match of Ranked Resurgence, he and his squad fall to a hacker with aimbot on their grenade launcher. The results are as expected, as the blatant use of hacks leaves Lenun and his partner speechless. The comments were ablaze with criticism, rightfully so. Most notably, Lenun is in a top 250 Warzone Ranked lobby, and the fact the cheater is up there raised plenty of concern. In response to the clip, ModernWarzone replied: “How tf is this guy hacking and somehow in the top 250?? HELLO RICOCHET?!?!?” This led to an interesting reply of a screenshot from a Discord group stating: “Activision has disabled the Anti Cheat for a limited time.” apparently, ricochet has been turned off for now pic.twitter.com/KxvD7gdf5I — PdGaming (@TheRealPdGaming) February 19, 2024 The screenshot in question is from a cheat provider, and while it’s impossible to verify if this is true or not, it’s definitely a cause for concern. Time will tell what stops Activision pulls out next regarding anti-cheat measures for CoD.

Warzone “cheat code” sniper scope dominates Halloween Haunting event – Dexerto
Warzone “cheat code” sniper scope dominates Halloween Haunting event ActivisionThere is a “cheat code” sniper attachment in Warzone that is perfect for dominating in The Haunting Halloween event as it’ll uncover what’s hiding in the shadows. Over the last few years, the Call of Duty Warzone devs have liked to ring in the start of the spooky season with a Halloween event. These have typically gone down well with players at the start, and that was the same story when Season 6 launched this time around. The nighttime versions of Al Mazrah, boss battles, and other changes were widely praised by players. However, those darkened maps have now started to cause a few headaches. If you’re one of those players who is annoyed about being caught out by someone hiding in the shadows, well, you’ll want to consider running the SZ Heatsource 800 sight. Sniper scope feels “like a cheat code” in Warzone’s Halloween event That’s according to Warzone experts SallyIsADog and Crowder, who highlighted in a recent duos game on Al Mazrah. They compared it with the Schlager Nightview, which was initially Sally’s pick as the better sight to see in the dark with. However, he quickly came around, noting that “basically feels like a cheat code” for the Halloween event. It’s not going to give you an aimbot or anything like that, but you’ll just have a much better chance of seeing players in the dark. It’ll be up to your sniper skills if you see them off, though. The scope can be attached to a few snipers, including the popular MCPR-300. However, you will have to put in some work to unlock it. It is part of the TAQ-M path in the gunsmith, and you have to get that all the way up to level 25 to unlock the sight. So, you might have it already, you might not.

Warzone devs confirm changes to controversial Season 3 lighting – Dexerto
Warzone devs confirm changes to controversial Season 3 lighting ActivisionAfter Warzone players were sent back in time to Verdansk ‘84 with the Season 3 update, new lighting issues quickly became apparent. Raven Software is well aware and aiming to implement a fix in the near future. We’re now two weeks into Warzone Season 3 and while players have grown accustomed to new map changes, everyone is still adjusting to the appearance of Verdansk. Shifting back to the 1980s brought a unique greenish tinge to the entire battle royale. No matter where you are on the map, the game now has a noticeably different color palette from its initial version. As a result, things tend to get a little wonky with new lighting systems in play. Arguably the biggest issue comes when transitioning. Moving outside from an indoor location and vice versa now brings a consistent glare. It takes a few seconds to adjust but this brief moment has been causing headaches since the update was introduced. Fortunately, devs are already looking into a fix. Through a recent accessibility survey Activision sent out, players were encouraged to detail their biggest gripes with the game. With “thousands of replies” coming through, Raven Software began responding to a few in a May 5 Twitter thread. From improved in-game text chat to better audio options, a number of accessibility settings were teased. What stood out from the pack, however, was a new comment on Warzone’s current lighting. One player sent across an example of how the new glare has been “causing headaches after short periods of playtime.” Raven addressed it head-on, assuring that they want all “players to feel comfortable while playing Warzone.” “We’ve been monitoring this closely,” the devs confirmed. Not only are they well aware of the issue, but they “plan on addressing it in an upcoming update.” Thank you for calling this out! We want our players to feel comfortable while playing #Warzone. We’ve been monitoring this closely and plan on addressing it in an upcoming update.#WZa11y pic.twitter.com/Wmsc2Bs1Sf — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) May 5, 2021 No specifics were outlined as to how exactly lighting might be tweaked in the near future. Though the brief transition should be cleaned up to reduce headaches as Season 3 rolls on. On top of these changes, we’ve also got some huge balance adjustments on the way too. Brush up on every weapon buff and nerf right here.

Warzone change to ban waves is a huge step forward for anti-cheat – Dexerto
Warzone change to ban waves is a huge step forward for anti-cheat ActivisionWarzone anti-cheat has been on players’ wishlists for as long as they can remember, and Raven Software have finally responded with a big change to ban waves. As players will know too well, thousand of hackers have been caught since Call of Duty Warzone launched in March 2020, with the developers confirming up to 50,000 at a time have been banned. However, the big issue has been that these bans are for their accounts, which means simply opening up a new account will see them return to the game. A huge roadblock might have been put in the way of hackers looking to return to the action, though, as the latest use of the ban hammer worked a little differently. Warzone ban waves stop hackers making new accounts On August 13, Tom Henderson – CoD leaker and writer– started posting about how this ban wave is different from the others we’ve seen roll out in the past. He said: “Raven Software’s recent banwave in Warzone targeted spoofers, meaning they cannot play again. Read More: How to unlock EM2 assault rifle – “This is different from past banwaves, as those banned could just create a new account.” Raven Software’s recent banwave in Warzone targeted spoofers, meaning they cannot play again. In recent weeks, the likes of NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman, CouRage, and other streamers decided to quit the battle royale title – in an effort to force change. Latest Warzone ban wave The latest Warzone ban wave occurred on August 11, when Raven announced 50,000 hackers were hit with a ban. Following that news, they said: “More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes. We will have more info for you soon” – which some players saw as a reference to incoming anti-cheat solutions. 🚫 Today we banned over 50,000 accounts in #Warzone. More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes. We will have more info for you soon. — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) August 11, 2021 Now we know, from the hackers themselves, that things have been changed, it could set up a much more exciting season for players. We’ll have to wait and see.

Warzone change could stop players from dominating with vehicles – Dexerto
Warzone change could stop players from dominating with vehicles ActivisionThis Call of Duty: Warzone concept could be the perfect solution to vehicles in Verdansk and quite literally stop players from being in the driver’s seat. Warzone has experienced a plethora of meta changes throughout its short tenure in the battle royale realm. From rooftop campers to vehicles being classed as “overpowered” and dominating the game. That being said, after a series of balancing changes, there are some relatively easy ways to counter the latter — just carry an RPG or C4 and you’re golden! Although vehicles are relatively easy to counter these days, they still dominate the roads (and sky) of Verdansk. And that’s why one player has come up with an ingenious way of preventing teams being so reliant on vehicles. Vehicle Fuel in Warzone? Reddit user ‘darth_scion’ suggested that vehicles should come with their own dedicated fuel reserve to prevent players from driving/flying around for the duration of the game. “I’ve thought since the beginning that vehicles should have a certain amount of fuel in them,” they explained. “I feel like that would prevent people from driving the vehicles back and forth around the entire map [for] the whole game, or flying around until the final circle/in the final circle.” While the Redditor later added that they wouldn’t know how this would be implemented, the concept itself is underlined by sound logic — on paper, at least. Should Infinity Ward choose to add the requirement for fuel, it would open an entirely different meta in Warzone. For example, players would be able to salvage fuel reserves from other vehicles. Equipping the Scavenger perk in your Custom Loadout might allow you to carry more fuel for your vehicle than those without it (adding a bit of extra competition for that Perk 1 slot). Another user added that vehicles could be made even more realistic, by incorporating “shootable tires” and preventing players from exiting vehicles while sustaining damage, similar to rival battle royale, PUBG. With a plethora of changes supposedly coming in the near future (such as new game modes and a whole new area), it’s highly unlikely that a concept like this will materialize any time soon.

Warzone players blast ‘L update’ as devs disable Champion’s Quest feature – Dexerto
Warzone players blast ‘L update’ as devs disable Champion’s Quest feature Activision BlizzardIssues with Warzone’s Season 1 Reloaded patch have forced developers to disable the Champion’s Quest nuke feature – players aren’t happy. The Season 1 Reloaded patch for Call of Duty: Warzone went live on January 17. Of course, the update featured the customary bug fixes, weapon balancing adjustments, and all the rest. It also brought Champion’s Quest to the Urzikstan map for the first time, allowing players to navigate their way through a series of tasks to activate a nuke. Not everything’s sunshine and rainbows where the new update is concerned, though. Since the patch went live, users have encountered numerous gameplay bugs, including a few that break the game. And now developers have no choice but to temporarily deactivate one of the affected features. Raven Software disables Warzone’s Champion’s Quest A social media post from Raven Software confirms that the studio has removed the recently added nuke quest from Warzone. While the feature’s deactivation is temporary, it’s not clear when Champion’s Quest will return. Raven said the decision spawned from the realization that Season 1 Reloaded’s patch does not meet its internal quality standards. The message reads in part: “At the moment, the current state of the update does not meet our standards for quality and gameplay, and we are committed to addressing the issues promptly to ensure that all players can enjoy Warzone to the fullest extent possible. Our goal is always to provide a smooth and seamless experience.” Suffice it to say, Warzone players aren’t happy about the quick switch with Champion’s Quest. Twitch streamer Poboy responded to the tweet saying: “Test your game before you roll a mid-season update out? Thoughts?” Another content creator went as far as to call this patch the worst Raven’s deployed to date “This has got to be the worst update you guys have ever dropped and that’s saying something,” commented Zyro. Reads a response from another disgruntled Call of Duty user, “Yet again another ‘L’ update. Do you guys have a ‘test environment’ where these updates are tested…” Some people are especially upset because they were on a winning streak when the Champion’s Quest announcement went live. As such, their shot at the nuke was abruptly hindered without warning. Again, there’s currently no word on when Champion’s Quest will return to Warzone. But, hopefully, its future reinstatement won’t be plagued by bugs.

Warzone challenges confirm Zombies being added in Season 2 update – Dexerto
Warzone challenges confirm Zombies being added in Season 2 update Activision / Infinity WardA new set of Call of Duty Warzone challenges appears to have confirmed that Zombies will arrive on Verdansk with the upcoming Season 2 update. It’s a big week for Call of Duty fans, as the highly-anticipated Season 2 update drops for both mainline entry Black Ops Cold War and battle royale mode Warzone, with plenty of exciting additions on the way. Fans of the classic Zombies mode are in luck, as it’s been announced that a large-scale mode called Outbreak is coming to Black Ops Cold War, where players will be tasked with completing challenges in the Ural Mountains. But that’s not all, as a set of new challenges appears to confirm that Zombies will also be coming back to Warzone when Season 2 of the popular battle royale launches on Wednesday, February 24, between 9 PM and 11 PM PT. Is Call of Duty Warzone getting Zombies? Eagle-eyed Warzone players will have noticed a series of Zombies teasers popping up towards the end of Season 1, including a machine with the command ‘activate zombies’ on it and familiar static effects taking over players’ screens. Now, a set of Warzone challenges have been shared on social media, and they pretty much confirmed what fans have been guessing for a while now: Zombies are set to make their return to Warzone in a big way. The challenges in question can be seen in the tweet below. One of them requires players to ‘eliminate 8 Zombies before the first circle closes’, while another asks them to ‘use Shotguns to eliminate 8 Zombies’. Warzone Zombies confirmed for Season 2? These new challenges seem to indicate so! Maybe they’re arriving in that cargo ship 🤔 pic.twitter.com/EbLGnDVmmP — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 24, 2021 All of these challenges state that they must be completed in Warzone, not Black Ops Cold War. Zombies previously appeared in Warzone through the Zombies Royale LTM, which took place during the Halloween-themed Haunting of Verdansk event in October 2020, and saw eliminated players reanimated as Zombies. It’s unknown if the new update will reintroduce Zombies with a similar LTM, or if it will be something new entirely. Either way, we should find out when Warzone Season 2 goes live on Wednesday, February 24. Read More: 6 most underrated weapons in Warzone – Elsewhere in CoD news, Treyarch have announced that there will be a Black Ops Cold War free access week available when Season 2 launches, which will also let players experience the new Outbreak Zombies mode. They’ve also revealed the contents of the Season 2 Battle Pass, including tier rewards.

Warzone Challenges bug hints Most Wanted contracts returning in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone Challenges bug hints Most Wanted contracts returning in Season 4 Infinity WardCall of Duty: Warzone players are somehow finding “Most Wanted” contracts under their Daily Challenges, suggesting that the experimental contract may be returning in Season 4. On April 30, Infinity Ward added a Most Wanted contract to Warzone, which, when picked up, made a player a target for all enemies on the map and would then award a good deal of money (and automatic buy-backs for all fallen teammates) should they survive the contract’s full duration. But its addition came at the expense of all traditional “Bounty” contracts, which was widely frowned upon—so Most Wanted was shelved after just one day. Now, players have been encountering bugged Daily Challenges requiring the completion of the discontinued contract, suggesting either that some Season 3 holdovers are popping back up or, more likely, that it will be returning for the game’s highly anticipated fourth season. Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 was expected to launch on June 3, Infinity Ward announced that it would be pushed back until further notice because, rather than being the right time for a gaming event, “now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard.” While people wonder if Infinity Ward or Activision Blizzard will pledge a portion of their proceeds from Season 4’s Battle Pass to organizations in support of the movement (similar to EA, who donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter organizations while adding a BLM splash page to Apex Legends), some continue to speculate as to what content will come along with the new event and the buggy presence of Most Wanted contracts is intriguing. The contracts themselves can’t be blamed for their removal, as people were more bothered by their replacement of the ever-popular Bounties. It’s not entirely clear why both options can’t coexist, as the developers never fully explained why the removal came so suddenly after one day and couldn’t instead be solved by having both in the game. There seems to be two possibilities at hand: 1) Infinity Ward doesn’t want to have more than three contract types in the game at once or 2) they believe that having two contract types with such similar energies is somehow intrinsically damaging to the game’s rhythm. The former doesn’t really make sense, as variety is the spice of life and people already juggling three types along with player-specific XP challenges can handle a new contract being added. @Harry_Edwards26 trying to be a hero and revive all of us by doing a Most Wanted Contract! @charlieINTEL @CallofDuty #CallofDuty #Warzone pic.twitter.com/oaSTdZAv1F — A-Drill (@ADrill_1993) April 30, 2020 As for the latter, Warzone is such a popular battle royale because of its potential for action and gunplay—that’s why Bounties are so popular and why adding another, similarly action-oriented seems more likely to encourage more of what people like from the game. It remains unclear what Season 4 will hold, but the potential for high-octane gameplay would most certainly rise with the addition of Most Wanted contracts, alongside the current three options.

Warzone celebrates Pride Month with new Emblems and Calling Cards – Dexerto
Warzone celebrates Pride Month with new Emblems and Calling Cards Stunning new Emblems and handcrafted pride flag Calling Cards have been added to Warzone by Raven Software to Celebrate Pride Month. Activision has been harshly criticized and punished for what some consider to be its failures in inclusivity and equality. It may be hard for Warzone players to fully trust the sincerity of any Pride initiative done, but Raven Software continued its yearly tradition of celebrating Pride Month by releasing 14 new Pride Month Calling Cards in Warzone. The Calling Cards and Emblems are free and available for all players. In 2021 Raven only added eight Calling Cards and no Emblems, but the studio has upped its support this time around. New Pride Emblems Gaymer Emblem available now in #Warzone! pic.twitter.com/EYnKxoFYxu — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) June 1, 2022 To equip the new Calling Cards and Emblems players just need to log in to Warzone, go to the Barracks menu, and from there all of the new items will be available to equip. Eight of the 14 Calling Cards are returning from last year and Raven tweeted about what each flag represents and who designed them. Genderqueer by Marilyn Roxie – Agender by Salem – Aromantic by Cameron – Intersex by Morgan Carpenter – Genderfluid by JJ Poole – Pansexual by Jasper – Gay Man by Gayflagblog – Progress Pride by Daniel Quasar – The six new flags have not been identified or credited to any artists as of writing. In 2021, Raven also added an Easter egg into Rebirth Island to celebrate Pride Month, but it’s unclear what they may have done this time around. In any case, this story will be updated if more information is revealed.

Warzone & CDL pros call for ‘kill-races’ to be scrapped after controversial $100k event – Dexerto
Warzone & CDL pros call for ‘kill-races’ to be scrapped after controversial $100k event ActivisionWarzone has been out for 15 months now and a few unique formats have led the way for competitions all the while. A kill-race is one such format, but many pros and popular streamers have now lashed out, calling for them to be left behind. Since Warzone’s release, tournament organizers around the world have been putting their own unique spin on what a competitive event should look like. While private lobbies exist, a vast majority of events play out in public settings. As a result, winning teams aren’t exactly free from criticism. From VPN accusations to teams allegedly putting up their best efforts against ‘bot’ lobbies, we’ve seen all kinds of heated debates over the past year and a bit. Now, Warzone’s finest have called for one particular format to be scrapped: kill-races. After the New York Subliners hosted a $100K kill-race in June, the wider Warzone and CoD community was quick to cast aspersions. Here’s why. When players drop into a kill-race event, the leading factor behind their success is the quality of their opposition. Say 10 teams drop into their first lobbies of a new event all at once. Two of those squads may go on a tear if they’ve been blessed by a lesser skilled lobby. Meanwhile, the remaining eight could be matched against absolute demons. With higher average K/Ds across the board, tougher lobbies can be extremely limiting when it comes to kill-races. What determines this is completely out of the player’s and even the tournament organizer’s control. It’s entirely down to chance and as a result, the community has called for this format to be left in the rearview mirror. Bro I was put into literally the most blender of blender lobbies. Navy seals 6 team every single fight 😂 — MuTeX (@FF_MuTeX) June 9, 2021 Pros call for kill-races to be “chalked” “Timed kill race tournaments are chalked,” $200K HusKerrs Howl champ SuperEvan said following the latest NYSL event. “I was put into literally the most blender of blender lobbies,” world record holder MuTeX replied. “Navy Seals 6 team every single fight.” Specific accusations were flying towards some of the more successful European teams on the day. Often referred to as one of the less competitive regions that NA teams VPN to, Hawaii was referenced by Warzone streamer Stukawaki. “Hawaii can’t even compete with that host,” he said in relation to Team Emz and their exceptional scoreline across both days of the event. Meanwhile, even Call of Duty League pros have now chimed in on the controversial state of Warzone affairs too. “A Warzone tournament for 100K is being decided by if you get demon lobbies or bot lobbies,” Gunless outlined on Twitter. “I’d be praying to God and cuddling my router every night if i was a Warzone pro.” a Warzone tournament for 100k is being decided by if you get demon lobbies or bot lobbies……. id be praying to god and cuddling my router every night if i was a warzone pro — Surge Peirce (@Gunless) June 8, 2021 Is there a Warzone solution? So what exactly can be done to resolve these contentious issues in Warzone today? For the most part, kill-races are fortunately already a rarity. Many of the biggest events drop teams into direct competition through bracket play. With two Duos merging into the same four-stack, it assures that competition is more balanced than a kill-race. This way, competing teams are both part of the same lobby, so no accusations can bring down their efforts. Other events have tested with private lobbies, and that’s exactly what Warzone’s biggest tournament will be using to settle the score: Activision’s own $1.2m World Series of Warzone will drop 50 squads into the one custom game. Read More: How to watch the Warzone Season 4 reveals – While it’s unclear how entertaining this format can be, it hasn’t sparked backlash quite like kill-races. With outrage stemming from the NYSL event, however, expect to see fewer Warzone kill-races moving forward.

Warzone campers are abusing a loadout drop glitch for easy kills – Dexerto
Warzone campers are abusing a loadout drop glitch for easy kills ActivisionWarzone players are losing their minds as campers are abusing an exploit to get inside loadout drops and kill people without them ever knowing. Camping is not beloved by the CoD community. People have gone to the extent and claimed that it ruins the fun of the game. Even Call of Duty devs have chimed in and called all campers “cowards.” However that doesn’t seem to stop them from finding new ways to be sneaky, even if that means using a glitch to do so. Warzone campers find broken glitch to hide With the loadout drop change being reverted in Warzone, players have been eager to get their hands on one as quick as possible. However, A Reddit post by ‘colemanni’ has players thinking twice before sprinting right up to one. In the clip, you can see that the player stood right next to the loadout drop and had their teammate drive a car into it. This allowed the character model to warp into the box and wait there. They posted up for a bit and caught an enemy by surprise when they attempted to collect their loadout, killing them without any warning, and netting one of the easiest kills we’ve ever seen in Warzone. The community was losing their minds when they saw this and one Redditor said, “When did they add prop hunt to Warzone?” Another person wondered what the player called out when they died from a person camping in it, saying something along the lines of “inside the loadout drop.” While this is certainly not an intended feature, Raven Software have yet to address this. However, with Season 2 being delayed to fix some problems, it is likely that this could be patched soon.

Warzone camper reveals devious spray-paint tricks in viral TikTok – Dexerto
Warzone camper reveals devious spray-paint tricks in viral TikTok ActivisionA Call of Duty: Warzone camper has exposed some of their tricks of the trade. Blowing people’s minds with a viral TikTok, they showed how campers can use some sneaky spray-paint tricks to absolutely bamboozle enemies. Camping is a controversial topic in the Call of Duty world. On the one hand, a lot of casual players love the strategy and, on the other hand, even the developers have called it ‘cowardly’ behavior. No matter which side you fall on, pro- or anti-camping, a new viral TikTok can bring you some value. If you’re a camper, then maybe you’ll learn a new trick or two. If you want to counter campers, then it’ll help to know what tricks they have stored up. In the video, posted by ‘pullathree,’ they demonstrate two devious tricks you can use while camping a location. While the footage is from Verdansk, it’s only blown up in January 2022 and its tactics should work in Caldera, too. Warzone camping tricks revealed in viral TikTok Pullathree shows off two tricks in their video. The first is a very niche, but funny Proximity Mine boobytrap, while the second is an actually useful window trick. The first one takes advantage of the Proximity Mine’s shape and size, as you can spray a Bullseye on top and completely hide it. This isn’t the most exciting trick around, but it does give you a reason to equip the Bullseye spray in case you’re ever using Bouncing Betties. The second one is pretty wild. Apparently, when you spray a window from the outside, it becomes completely opaque to someone outside – but someone inside can see out of it perfectly. This trick is legitimately helpful, since it guarantees you can have an extreme information advantage any time someone tries to approach a building you’re holding. With enemies unable to see inside, you can begin shooting and take them out before they even realize where the bullets are coming from. If you do intend to hold window camping spots for a long period of time, this trick’s added camouflage is well worth the milliseconds it will take for your bullets to break through the glass. If you intend to fight campers, though, it’s also useful to know that this trick exists. If you’re out in the wild and you see a building with sprayed windows, you’ll know danger is nearby.

Warzone camper finds ultimate Caldera “rat spot” for easy kills – Dexerto
Warzone camper finds ultimate Caldera “rat spot” for easy kills ActivisionWarzone campers will do whatever it takes to win a game, and one person has found the ultimate rat spot on Caldera that is giving them free kills. If you have ever played a battle royale then you most certainly have run into your fair share of campers. In Warzone, campers have a weird relationship with the game. Devs have deemed them all “cowards” but sometimes it’s necessary for survival. And one player is taking this to the next level after discovering a new spot that is perfect for winning games. Warzone camper finds “rat spot” on Caldera A Reddit post by ‘BigStuggz’ shows off an insane sequence where the player utilizes what fans are calling a “rat spot” to pick up a win. In the video, you can see that Stuggz is near the Gondola station off the left side of Peak. They jumped off the top of the lift and into one of the cable cars. This is how they are able to pick up free kills. While in this spot, the player is nearly unkillable. You can see that a Cluster Strike gets called in but nothing happens to the Stuggz. Luckily, they had a friendly circle and were able to post up long enough to get easy rotation kills. However, this plan isn’t full proof as someone has already figured out the perfect counter, but in an odd way. How to counter Caldera Gondola spot Reddit user ‘Netoxicky’ has discovered that even though Cluster Strikes may not get the job done, a specific launcher can. The Modern Warfare launcher, JOKR, can actually be the easiest way to kill someone abusing this tactic. Simply aim at the ground directly above the enemy and wait for the rocket to rain down onto them. So, you might need to have this on a loadout just in case you run into someone using this trick.

Warzone C4 nerfed as explosives take over meta – Dexerto
Warzone C4 nerfed as explosives take over meta ActivisionWarzone devs Raven Software have announced a hotfix to nerf C4 explosives in the battle royale game, as they slowly started to take over the battle royale meta. C4 has had its time in and out of the Warzone meta ever since the game first launched in 2020. While you used to be able to launch them incredibly far, they were nerfed for newer iterations of Warzone to give them a more realistic throwing range — but that doesn’t mean they’ve been far less powerful. In fact, after Thermobaric Grenades were banned from competitive play as pros ran them in abundance, players quickly switched over to C4 instead. This proved similarly destructive, with C4 offering a great mix of both ease of use and explosive power to wipe out other teams. Responding to the meta developments, Raven put out a hotfix in the early hours of June 19, confirming a C4 nerf with the following changes: Throw velocity has been reduced by 15% – Radius has been reduced to 7 meters, down from 8 – Outer radius damage has been reduced to 138, down from 155 – While this isn’t a huge nerf, it should help bring C4 more in line with where other explosive equipment is, and the outer radius damage drop should mean the collateral damage from direct C4 hits isn’t quite as calamitous. If you’ve been using C4s prior to this nerf, it’s unlikely they will have been completely ruined, but you might have to anticipate firing a few more bullets after the initial explosion before downing your opponents. That said, they’re still going to be effective against vehicles and in late-game circles, where it’s easier to get up close and personal with other squads.

Warzone C4 nerfed again after explosives continued to run rampant – Dexerto
Warzone C4 nerfed again after explosives continued to run rampant ActivisionC4 explosives have been nerfed again in Warzone in the MW3 Season 4 Reloaded update after they became an incredibly popular meta choice once again, years after they dominated in Verdansk. After Thermobaric grenades were removed from Warzone after becoming supremely popular (and overpowered), the C4 soon took over. While the explosive didn’t have the same power or throwing distance it had back in Warzone 1, it was still very powerful and could rip through teams. On June 18, there was a hotfix to nerf the C4, reducing their damage radius and throw velocity, but that clearly wasn’t enough, as developers Raven Software have opted to hit them even harder with a further nerf on June 26, for Season 4 Reloaded, barely a week later. Here’s what was changed, as per the patch notes: Decreased max damage to 200, down from 275 – Decreased outer damage to 100, down from 137 – Decreased max radius to 6.5 meters, down from 7 – This is another extremely significant nerf, that could seriously hamper how popular the C4 is in Warzone going forward, with players perhaps more tempted to take a Semtex or Frag Grenade as they’re easier to use. That said, 200 damage is still pretty strong, especially if you’re set up and anticipating a push and can trigger the C4 once your opponents approach. After that, it’s a matter of seconds between your gun coming back out and your opponent being sent to the Gulag. The radius reduction and outer damage reduction could actually prove to be more significant, as you’ll now need opponents to be much closer to hit them with the upper limit of 200. The meta could see some more notable changes with the weapon buffs and nerfs that arrived in Season 4 reloaded, and C4 may be one to start fading into irrelevancy now.

Warzone Buy Stations glitching is crashing the game – Dexerto
Warzone Buy Stations glitching is crashing the game ActivisionIn Warzone, players use Buy Stations to set themselves up with all sorts of equipment to aid them in gunfights, but a new glitch is crashing their games. As if Warzone players didn’t need to deal with more issues following the addition of Vanguard and the Festive Fervor event, one of the game’s staples, the Buy Station, is also experiencing problems. Buy Stations allow for players to use their hard-earned cash to better equip themselves in their Battle Royale journey. They come with a plethora of items and options, and they can range from armor plates to airstrikes and UAVs that help participants take out their enemies with ease, as well as give the ability to revive a teammate. Warzone Buy Stations glitch is crashing players games Normally, Buy Stations are a welcome sight for any Warzone enjoyer but now, it’s been crashing games. It’s a horrible feeling expecting some sort of salvation from a Buy Station only to have your game freeze or crash. Brought up by Reddit user fatversionofyou on the COD Warzone subreddit, this new glitch is ruining players’ ability to play the game. In the Reddit post, they inquired other Warzone players’ opinions of this glitch, wondering if they were the only person experiencing it. “Am I the only one this happens to?” asked the Reddit user. “Ever since they brought back Rebirth, the buy station makes my game freeze for 5-10 seconds or just completely crashes to the Xbox dashboard every time I use it lol. Cool feature.” The glitch is not only freezing or players games as according to others on the thread, there are varying problems that have also surfaced. “Happens to me too. That and every couple Games it’s unplayable because everyone is stuttering around regardless of me being on 27 ping,” said one. “I just came off for a bit. Guns won’t load, terrain won’t load, takes 5mins for putting on armour. Gulag is worse somehow. It is literally unplayable,” said another. Not being able to grab your UAV to aid you in your battles or being unable to revive teammates massively dampers both the player and game experience. Only time will tell if Activision will address it.

Warzone Buy Stations get major overhaul in Operation Flashback update – Dexerto
Warzone Buy Stations get major overhaul in Operation Flashback update ActivisionOperation Flashback has arrived in Warzone, celebrating previous stages of the game by smashing them all together into one. As a result, all Buy Stations in the playlist are receiving some major changes ahead of the move to Caldera. The end is near for Warzone’s beloved Verdansk and Raven Software is sending the map off with a love letter of sorts in the form of the Operation Flashback playlist. On top of the changes in this mode, like a constant schedule of Public Events such as Fire Sales and Jailbreaks, the game’s buy stations are also receiving an inventory update. This change is meant to combine all of the different versions and eras of Verdansk into one big concentrated mess. Warzone Buy Stations get upgraded in Operation Flashback There are a few important differences between the familiar buy station offerings and the Operation Flashback versions. Anyone who has played more than a few games of Warzone probably knows that the traditional stations have a standard offering of weapons, ammo, armor, and killstreak assistance: Old Buy Station items Armor Plate Bundle – Gas Mask – Cluster Strike – Precision Airstrike – UAV – Self-Revive Kit – Munitions Box – Armor Box – Loadout Box – In this new playlist, everything gets a little more high-octane, as every salesman in Verdansk is preparing to move their business where the war goes when the new map arrives in December. This means that buyable items from other limited-time modes are crossing over into this version and the new-look stations hold significantly more firepower: New Buy Station items Self-Revive Kit – Armor Plate Bundle – Armor Box – Recon Drone – Munitions Box – Sentry Gun – Loadout Drop Marker – Bombardment – Armored Truck – Prices for these new items have yet to be revealed but players can expect to be spending big money when buying something as powerful as the Armored Truck. On top of this change, loadouts can only be purchased after the first Loadout Drop public event happens in each new game. That’s all we know about buy stations in Operation Flashback! For more information about the update be sure to check out our other Warzone coverage for all the latest news.

Warzone Buy Stations are still causing players big problems – Dexerto
Warzone Buy Stations are still causing players big problems Activision[jwplayer bvPiezuD]Warzone’s Buy Stations are still causing huge problems for players — despite promises that they would be fixed all the way back in March when the game first launched. Despite Warzone’s success among not only Call of Duty players but the gaming community as a whole, there are a number of issues that are causing some serious rage-inducing moments for players — and Buy Stations continue to be a frustrating sticking point for players. Back in Season 3, players were unable to respawn their eliminated teammates from Buy Stations thanks to a frustrating bug, but this problem is something that has been much more persistent — yet equally as annoying. As you can see in the clip below, posted by ssuxbryan, they head to the Buy Station to buy back their eliminated teammates, who come back without a hitch. Instead, it’s Bryan who is stuck in this scenario, unable to stand up or move, glued the spot where he laid when he used the Buy Station. Though it’s massively frustrating and could completely ruin someone’s chances of getting a win in Verdansk, it’s not new by any means. Back in July, popular streamer TimTheTatman posted a video to YouTube in which it happened to him, too, unable to move after using the Buy Station to bring back teammate Huskerrs. Timestamp 8:20 Despite the ongoing issues, looking back at prior updates and patch notes, Infinity Ward were actually looking to fix this issue just days after the game launched all the way back in March. As mentioned, IW were looking to address an issue where “players can get stuck under a Buy Station if going prone while interacting with it,” and this appears to be what happened to bryan in the first clip. However, Tim wasn’t prone at all when he faced the glitch, but instead seems to be crouched behind it, wedged between the Buy Station and a wall. So, if you’ve lost games because of this glitch, don’t worry because you’re definitely not the only one. Whether this is the exact same glitch that Infinity Ward addressed back in March is unclear but, needless to say, they’re going to want to get it fixed.

All Buy Station and loot changes in Warzone Season 4 – Dexerto
All Buy Station and loot changes in Warzone Season 4 ActivisionWarzone’s Season 4 update on May 29 unleashed a host of changes for the Buy Stations and loot spread across the Urzikstan map. Here’s everything to know about the latest pricing adjustments and loot updates. Some of the most noteworthy changes from the patch notes revolve around map updates, with unlocked Bunkers now featuring an escape hatch. Warzone players can also expect four new Gulag layouts upon diving into Season 4. Adjustments to Buy Station prices and loot constitute the other major changes. Warzone Buy Station glitch is still breaking games with no fix in sight – Dexerto
Warzone Buy Station glitch is still breaking games with no fix in sight ActivisionOne of Warzone’s longest-running glitches with Buy Stations is still ruining games after years of player complaints with no fix in sight to alleviate the issue. Raven Software has been introducing remedies for Warzone’s other persistent problems like loot spawn on Rebirth and bugs with the social side of the battle royale. But the more things change, the more they stay the same. For years CoD players have been reeling from the bugged Buy Stations that would regularly disrupt the game. Though the devs have solved problems like the bizarre freezing glitch and the like, there’s one that hasn’t been solved to this day. Veteran fans will be familiar with the game-breaking bug that makes Buy Stations a one-way trip if you lay on the floor next to one while it unfolds. Warzone Buy Station bug strikes again Newer Warzone players who might not be used to Buy Statins are quickly finding this problem for themselves. “Long story short I went to get a self revive and a UAV at the Prison Courtyard Buy Station, and this glitch happened to me causing me to glitch into the Buy Station,” Redditor ‘ThermiteKing’ said. The clip was quickly met by seasoned Warzone players who’ve had this happen to them. It’s a hazard that’s basically taken as part of the game these days but it can still take players of all skill levels by surprise. “Been an issue for a very very very long time,” user ‘PowerCrazedSoul‘ said. “It’s happened to me idk how many times. it’s inconsistent so sometimes I’ll forget to not sit near the buy station and then the game is ruined.” This glitch has been showing up since 2020 and it doesn’t look like a permanent fix will be coming anytime soon. Accessing each of Warzone’s bunkers can be difficult if you don’t know their location and key codes, though. There are even a number of bunkers that can only be accessed with a Red Access Card, so here’s everything you need to know about these highly-competitive locations. Warzone bunker locations and map for Season 3 Here are the Warzone bunker locations that require a code to open them. Warzone Boneyard bunkers (0-1): North of and south of Junkyard – Warzone Park bunker (2): South of Styor Spomenik and Tavorsk Park – Warzone Prison bunker (3): West of Prison – Warzone Farmland bunker (4): Inside Farmland in the largest barn – Warzone TV Station bunker (5): East of TV Station – You can check out our dedicated bunker locations guide for an in-depth breakdown of exactly where to find each of these locations. Warzone bunker codes Warzone Boneyard bunker codes (0-1) The Boneyard bunker is located north of Junkyard. North Boneyard code: 87624851 – South Boneyard code: 97264138 – Park bunker code (2) The next bunker can be accessed via the southern section of the map, directly below Styor Spomenik and Tavorsk Park. It’s here where you’ll find a bunker tucked away in the rocky cliff face. Warzone Park bunker code: 60274513 – Prison bunker code (3) While the shack that sits just west of Warzone’s Prison may not look that interesting, it does have some decent loot inside. Simply enter the building and use the keypad next to the door to gain entry. Farmland bunker code: 49285163 – TV Station bunker code (5) TV Station is a popular place for squads looking to get into early-game fights. You can either land on top of TV station and take the chopper over to the eastern bunker or simply hot drop onto it. If you choose to do the latter, then be prepared to quickly enter the code below: TV Station bunker code: 27495810 – Red Access Card bunkers and locations There are certain bunkers that require a Red Access Card to unlock. These ultra-rare cards were previously found in Legendary Supply Boxes, but have since been removed since Warzone Season 2. Here are all the Warzone bunker locations for the currently locked bunkers: Southern Promenade West Bunker (6) – Eastern Dam bunker (7) – Southern Military base bunker (8) – Eastern Quarry bunker (9) – Northeast Prison bunker (10) – How do you get into bunker 11? As of writing, bunker 11 is inaccessible. We don’t know when bunker 11 will be reopened, but if you wish to find out how you can access it in future updates, then you’ll need to first visit one of the activation phones that are dotted around Verdansk. Reddit user StrangerRobijn has made the image (above) to help Warzone players locate each activation phone, so make sure you use this as a guide until you can memorize each phone location for when/if it comes back. Usually, once you have located the correct phone, a Russian operator will answer and give you a three-digit code. We’ve listed the translations below: a-deen – Dva – tree – chye-tir-ye – pyat – shest – Syem – vo-syem – dyev-yat – Dyes-yat – The three-digit code you get will dictate the order you visit the phones in. For example, if you had code 012, you would visit phone zero first, then phone one, then phone two. If you wish to speed up this process, we suggest having your squad splitting up and hopping in the nearest vehicles to cut down the overall travel time. You’ll know when you’ve interacted with the correct phones when you hear a little jingle. This sound means you’ve been successful and Bunker 11 can now be entered. The bunker is located just North-West of Warzone’s Military Base. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about Warzone’s bunkers in Season 3.

Warzone bug turns enemy into monstrous demon impossible to kill – Dexerto
Warzone bug turns enemy into monstrous demon impossible to kill ActivisionThe Warzone demon glitch continues to escalate to new heights and sizes apparently. A scarier version of it has emerged turning a regular enemy into a walking nightmare in Caldera. Call of Duty: Warzone can sometimes have a ‘glitch of the week’ feel where players wonder what interesting fault will dominate the headlines. The celebration of the Christmas Warzone content saw a glitch randomly send players to the Gulag, and another make Krampus invisible. Now, the Holiday season has brought about some terror in the form of a new demon glitch. Warzone’s Season 1 Caldera launch has seen the return of the notorious demon gun glitch. However, it now appears to have mutated into something far worse. TezzyTezz was minding their own business roaming around Warzone when they saw something lifted directly out of Hell coming for them. After checking the windows and environment for any threats, a ginormous, spiky creature suddenly dragged its way up the stairs and unloaded on the player. To their credit, the monster didn’t fluster the player too much as they were able to land some solid shots on the buggy demon. But it was clearly difficult to land consistent shots on the player when their body was being stretched all over the place. The horrifying visual would’ve affected many players, and one commenter even said: “Cr*p, it’s like Silent Hill! Is that Pyramid Head!?” Some other players appear to have encountered this abnormality, labeling it “Venomed,” “digital Cthulu,” and the “void”.

Warzone bug is spawning players in the gas with no chance of survival – Dexerto
Warzone bug is spawning players in the gas with no chance of survival Infinity WardA frustrating Warzone bug is leaving players without a chance to fend for themselves as Gulag winners are being thrown straight back into the toxic gas. Infinity Ward’s battle royale has captured the attention of over 15 million players in its first week. While the fresh release is certainly popular, the 150-player mode has come with its fair share of amusing, devastating, and sometimes frustrating issues. The Gulag has been host to a number of clever tricks and strategies, however, a new bug is leaving players frustrated after winning their 1v1. Thrown straight back into a gunfight after being taken out during battle, the Gulag gives players a second chance to right their wrongs and get back in the fight. Upon winning a 1v1, the victors are dropped back into the map overhead of nearby allies within the safe zone. At least, that’s how the feature is supposed to work. Rather than redeploying to a safe space and allowing players the chance to land, and get back into the fight properly and try again with a new loadout, a new bug is respawning players in the midst of noxious gas, spelling certainly death. “I won my fight in the gulag, and then spawned in the gas, killing me pretty much instantly,” Reddit user ‘on-my-mobile’ explained as they shared a video in hopes of raising awareness of the toxic-drop issue. Their screen darkened after winning the 1v1, and their character could already be heard coughing well before the game transitioned back to the sprawling battlefield. Opening their map before they regained control, the player realized their icon was in the red. As they finally shifted to a first-person perspective, they had already dropped to less than half health and was taken out of action by the poisonous gas soon after. With barely enough time to adjust their direction and fly towards the safe zone, there was seemingly nothing the player could have done to avoid the frustrating situation, except watch as their hard-earned return faded away. While the Warzone developers at Infinity Ward appear to have their work cut out for them as they try to address a number of significant issues, it seems as though this Gulag bug is not on the radar for the time being. In the meantime, if you end up in the Gulag and have to fend for yourself, try this surprising spray tactic to get the upper hand— after that, you’ll just have to pray the game doesn’t decide you’re set for another toxic death.

Warzone devs respond to bug preventing stats & wins from counting – Dexerto
Warzone devs respond to bug preventing stats & wins from counting Activision via Screen RantCall of Duty: Warzone’s developers are investigating a bug in the battle royale that’s preventing wins and other stats from being counted on players’ accounts. The Warzone community has been filing reports of missing wins, among other things, in the battle royale. Seeing as people would be pretty happy to get a win in the competitive title, it’s no wonder why so many have been concerned about the inconsistent stat tracking. But Raven Software have finally eased the minds of concerned Call of Duty fans, letting them know that the studio is now looking into what could be breaking the system in its current state. While it hasn’t been the easiest of time for the devs, they’re going to add this to their to-do list when it comes to fixing Warzone’s pressing problems. We’re currently looking into this issue. We’ll provide an update whenever possible.https://t.co/0yz3t1MXJC — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) April 16, 2021 After popular YouTuber ‘JGOD’ asked Raven about a status update for the stat tracking issues, the devs said that they were “currently looking into this issue. We’ll provide an update whenever possible.” This is great news for players who’ve noticed their latest feats in the grueling battle royale going unnoticed by Warzone’s backend systems. Players noticed that even on popular CoD: Warzone stat tracking sites, data from recent matches wasn’t being notched and would instead have ‘unknown’ values for those games. “I put my PS5 into safe mode, cleared store cache and played a solo real quick and that counted for kills,” user ‘inertchunk756’ said as they tried to find a fix. “When you look at the cod.tracker.gg tracker browser all the games have stats but the game mode shows ‘unknown’ so something is their code is fooked.” Warzone players have been waiting for a fix to the stat tracking, while some haven’t been coping with the faulty systems. Read more: When is NVIDIA DLSS coming to Warzone? – “So for the next week or so, no stats will count,” user NadxCH said. “So it’s gonna be boring BR games not being motivated to get a ‘win’ because it’s not gonna be a win. Might as well try out new guns in BR whilst no stats count.” Regardless, the developers have officially submitted a card on their Trello board, so hopefully a meaningful solution comes out soon. As it stands, the issue is apparently only happening for players in team-based standard modes, which appear to be getting treated as limited time modes now that Zombies have been added. Solos stats are still counting, so maybe dive in alone if you want to keep your numbers up.

Warzone bug on Rebirth Island leaves players weaponless and floating through walls – Dexerto
Warzone bug on Rebirth Island leaves players weaponless and floating through walls ActivisionThe hot new update for Rebirth Island has given players one of the best versions of the map ever, though it may have come at a price thanks to a frustrating map bug. Raven Software’s big Rebirth Island update has gone down a treat with the CoD community. After giving the map its biggest overhaul in some time, possibly ever, players have reveled in the return of keycards and vaults and the introduction of a dedicated solo mode. For all the things that Rebirth has gotten right and still continues to execute very well, a new glitch is souring things a bit. Under the map glitches are nothing new, and Caldera has had some run-ins with them very recently. The virus seems to have spread to Rebirth Island now. Rebirth Island map exploit causes issues Redditor ItonicJ is the Warzone player trying to out the new issue in a bid to get it removed from the game sharpish. Their statement was loud and clear: “Please fix this. I did it 3 times to defo know how it’s done and needs to be patched before people exploit it. Rebirth Island.” Along with these words, a video showing the process and method to get under the map was revealed in full. After fending off an attack from another Rebirth player, ItonicJ found a specific spot on the North-East part of the map, ran down some stairs, and performed an innocuous-looking jump into the side of a building. Instead of bouncing off of the wall as you would normally expect, the player ended up on an invisible platform inside the building’s ceiling and could see everything around them. The main difference with this glitch compared to usual map glitches is that once you’re inside the building, you cannot use your weapon. It’s unclear if you become stuck once you’ve done this, and there’s always a chance you could be visible too. Meaning, if you’re cruising around Rebirth Island and you’re within the vicinity of this building, be careful about where you’re jumping. As usual, we’d expect this to be patched quite quickly.

Warzone bug lets players teleport in and out of the Gulag – Dexerto
Warzone bug lets players teleport in and out of the Gulag Infinity Ward / ActivisionWarzone players have found a strange bug with the Gulag that randomly teleports them in and out of Verdansk while waiting for a chance to respawn, following the major Season 6 update. Warzone’s Season 6 update introduced many new changes to the popular battle royale title, with two weapons, a battle pass, and an in-game subway system now added to let players fast-travel around the map. The recent major update has not come without its problems and there have been a few bizarre bugs cropping up in Warzone, as seen with the self-revive glitch that has affected players in Verdansk’s subway. However, it now seems as if the Gulag has also been affected by the latest changes, and players have highlighted a strange glitch that teleports them out of the waiting area, ahead of their match. Once players die in Warzone, they are usually sent to wait in the Gulag for a short period before matching up with another player and fighting for the chance to drop back into Verdansk. Following the Season 6 update, on September 28, Warzone players such as u/SyleathS-TV have seemingly been getting back into the action early, allowing them to deal a bit more damage while waiting for their Gulag opponent. The Warzone player shared this unusual clip, revealing that they had been randomly teleported back into the Subway after dying in-game. After respawning back in Verdansk’s Metro, the player seemingly surprised an enemy who was waiting in the train, by retrieving a weapon and even managing to pick up an extra kill on the unsuspecting opponent. However, shortly after getting the kill, SyleathS was finally placed back in the Gulag and was left quite confused at just what was happening in the Warzone match. While it is unclear what might be causing this unusual bug with the Gulag, it is likely that Infinity Ward will be looking to patch the issues in a future update.

Insane Warzone bug makes Heartbeat Sensor the worst item in the game – Dexerto
Insane Warzone bug makes Heartbeat Sensor the worst item in the game ActivisionHeartbeat Sensors appear to now be the most useless piece of Tactical equipment in Warzone, thanks to a ridiculous new glitch that is killing unsuspecting players on the spot. From blinding flash grenades to pesky decoy grenades, Tactical equipment is designed to give you an edge in combat, without necessarily dealing damage. Heartbeat Sensors should work just the same, giving you a tactical advantage on the map. However, an absurd bug is sure to make you stay away from the item until a new patch is released. Exposing nearby enemies is how the Heartbeat Sensor is supposed to work across Modern Warfare and Warzone. A new bug is exposing just how damaging the item piece of equipment can be, however. As the first pulse of the sensor goes out, Reddit user csvolts is instantly knocked down. No warning, no incremental damage, just outright knocked as soon as the item comes into play. Perhaps thinking that they were magically sniped, or hit by some other form of damage, they tried again after being revived. Straight away the Heartbeat Sensor knocked them down again. There’s no telling exactly what led to the bizarre issue, but plenty of others chimed in and highlighted similar issues on their end. A leading theory targets loot drops as the cause of the issue. As Heartbeat Sensors supposedly still work when pulled from Loadout drops, according to bigm1ke. “Happened to me too a few days ago,” they said. “It was a sensor I found on the map though. When I got my loadout, the sensor was fine after.” While it may be a completely random bug affecting sensors on the map, until an update is pushed out, it could very easily impact your next Warzone session. Despite the intel that a Heartbeat Sensor could provide in a tense situation, it may be wise to completely ignore the item. Losing in a gunfight is one thing, but losing to seemingly beneficial equipment is sure to be frustrating.

Warzone bug gives players perfect idea for possible Riot Shields counter – Dexerto
Warzone bug gives players perfect idea for possible Riot Shields counter ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have come up with the perfect way to counter annoying Riot Shields. And it’s all thanks to a bug, which helped the game’s fans realize that two negatives can make a positive. In a first-person shooter, a Riot Shield sounds like a dumb idea. You can’t shoot or throw grenades at anyone while holding it up and you have to slowly crouch around for it to protect your legs. But Riot Shields are impenetrable in Warzone and that makes them uncomfortably effective. Most players have lived the nightmare of getting stunned by a Riot Shield user, before being approached and killed by melee. Reddit’s ‘guberNailer’ came face to face with that nightmare while standing on Verdansk’s train. The player grabbed an M82 sniper rifle out of a chest and figured they’d try to snipe the Riot Shield user. A moment later, a new game concept was born. Warzone bug lets players snipe through Riot Shield As you can see in the clip, guberNailer looks for alternative options after trying to gun through the Riot Shield. Picking up an M82, they intuitively try a snipe and boom, somehow they kill their foe. It’s unclear exactly why this worked, as the shield usually protects whichever spot it’s covering (including the back of your head). So it could be a bug or some bizarre timing with the enemy moving around. Regardless, it gave people an idea. In the replies, people quickly got to thinking. GuberNailer asked if “.50 cal goes through Riot Shields now” and the top comments believe it should. What if Warzone let big snipers shoot through Riot Shields? Unlike the Kar98k and the Swiss K31, snipers like the M82, HDR, and AX-50 are substantially heavier and slower to wield. That immobility is balanced by increased lethality, theoretically. As such, the game’s fans think it would be reasonable for those hefty snipers — and the armor-piercing ZRG — to shoot through Riot Shields. This is an interesting idea, as it could increase their viability while continuing to be balanced since they’re so slow to use. This idea doesn’t seem to have made it to the developers just yet, as Raven Software haven’t replied. But it’s definitely intriguing and could be a fun way to bring some more counterplay opportunities to some of the game’s more niche loadouts.

Warzone left ‘broken’ as Akimbo glitch gives Handgun fastest TTK in the game – Dexerto
Warzone left ‘broken’ as Akimbo glitch gives Handgun fastest TTK in the game ActivisionWarzone’s meta has been left “ruined” as a newly spotted Akimbo glitch is giving the COR-45 Handgun the fastest time to kill (TTK) in the entire game, and by no small margin either. As with any competitive FPS, improving your TTK is vital. In Warzone’s four-year history, we’ve seen all sorts of insane loadouts and wacky bugs manipulating TTK, it’s just part and parcel of the experience. Though a new bug may have just taken it further than ever before, with a wild Akimbo glitch handing out perhaps the fastest TTK the CoD BR has seen thus far. JGOD was among the first to uncover the bug on August 14 and in a matter of hours, it spread like wildfire. Players across the board are labeling the game as ‘broken’ and “ruined” until Activision issues a fix. “The COR-45 Akimbo glitch just broke Warzone,” ZLaner chimed in with a brief clip using the busted setup. In mere moments, multiple enemies were mowed down as the Akimbo weapons shredded through anything in close to mid-range. Enemies barely have a fraction of a second to react, let alone begin firing back. Evidently not intentional, content creators have since shown off how they manipulate Warzone’s loadout system to equip some modifications on the COR-45 Handgun that aren’t supposed to work together. First up, players need to go into the loadout screen and equip the COR-45 Handgun. This can be done with other Blueprints for the weapon too. From here, simply de-select all attachments on the gun so it’s completely blank. Next, head to the Rear Grip slot and select the Akimbo option, as you might have guessed. Then, go to the Conversion Kit section at the bottom of the screen. While the XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit appears locked, the current bug allows you to equip it nonetheless. At least, this glitch works with a mouse as your input device. Those using a controller don’t appear to be having the same luck in breaking Warzone. If you’re able to make it past this step, however, you’re then able to equip any other attachments you like to buff the build some more. You too can be annihilating your lobbies with this clearly busted loadout until a fix is issued. Activision is yet to comment on the glitch at the time of writing, but we’ll update you here with any further developments.

Warzone bringing back iconic Verdansk POI in Season 5 Urzikstan update – Dexerto
Warzone bringing back iconic Verdansk POI in Season 5 Urzikstan update ActivisionSuperstore was among the most fun and chaotic POIs to land on in Verdansk. And after four years, the iconic supermarket is again opening its doors to customers. Call of Duty confirmed that Atlas Superstore will be a new POI on Urzikstan in Season 5. The store looks very similar to its original iteration, but there are a few new additions, including a zipline on the side of the building and one that descends down into the store. In addition, a horizontal zip-line goes from a hill across from the store onto its roof. The new mobility options should make it easier for players to escape gunfights or sneak up on enemies. Like the original version, we expect this location to be one of the most popular locations to land, and it will especially be hectic when the season first goes live. This addition comes after Warzone players have become increasingly frustrated over the lack of new content on Urzikstan in the last few seasonal updates. In May, community members flamed the devs for hurting the title by only adding Ranked Play to Resurgence maps. The developers responded that they will focus on maintaining Ranked Resurgence in upcoming seasons “given the mode’s success.” This is to “provide a diverse and fulfilling competitive experience across different modes.” Resurgence’s success came at the expense of traditional battle royale fans, but this new update should help revive the previously forgotten map. Season 5 starts on July 24. So far, it has already been announced that there will be a WWE collaboration event. Meanwhile, Sledgehammer Games created three new variants of popular MW3 multiplayer maps that use a comic book art style.

Warzone Bren loadout removes recoil with one simple change – Dexerto
Warzone Bren loadout removes recoil with one simple change ActivisionThe Bren LMG is one of the most popular weapons across both CoD Vanguard and Warzone, thanks mainly to its large mags and firepower. Now, players have discovered an easy way to completely remove the gun’s recoil, making it an absolute laser. Whether you are a Warzone or Vanguard player, getting to grips with the new WWII-era weapons is vital to success. But with so many to choose from, finding the right loadout can be extremely tricky. It’s especially difficult when you’re just starting out, and you haven’t unlocked the meta attachments that make everyone else’s guns ridiculously powerful. So, you’re going to need a weapon that is extremely effective, without the need for high-level attachments to make it useable. The Bren LMG can be made into a no-recoil laser with a lot of extra equipment, but players have figured out a way to do it without these fancy attachments. Here’s how to completely remove the Bren’s recoil and make it the “most accurate LMG in the game.” The method was uploaded to Reddit by user Matthew106, accompanied by a clip to back up his claim. He revealed that by simply switching to semi-auto mode, you can land plenty of shots in quick succession with zero recoil. As you can see from the video, when fully automatic the kick quickly points the barrel of the gun up towards the ceiling, demonstrating how tough it is to keep the LMG in check. However, once the player switches modes, they are able to fire multiple shots at the exact same spot on the wall by quickly spamming the trigger. Given that the Bren already packs a punch, Matthew claims using this trick turns the LMG into a “zero recoil two shot weapon” that is “too good” not to use. A number of LMGs also have the ability to switch fire rates, but it only appears to have a drastic effect on the Bren. The MG-42 and DP-27 have too high a TTK to make the switch worthwhile, and the Type 11 apparently has ‘triple’ the recoil when firing single shots. Although this tip is extremely effective if you only have basic attachments, once you’ve leveled up and can equip the .50 BMG 50 Round Mags and a good scope, the Bren becomes a monster at medium to long-range. There’s a good chance that devs will patch the low recoil in a future update, so we recommend getting some games in while you still can. Warzone “box glitch” is making players look like they’re using wall hacks – Dexerto
Warzone “box glitch” is making players look like they’re using wall hacks ActivisionWarzone has a history of bizarre bugs, but a new one being deemed the “box glitch” makes it look like players have wall hacks. There have been a number of odd bugs to hit Warzone since the Pacific update. From the Gulag killing winners to infinite ammo the battle royale is far from perfect. In one of the most peculiar glitches, fans have seen in a while, this one is throwing boxes up on a player’s screen that appear to be outlining an enemy. Let’s take a look at what Warzone players are calling the “box glitch” and why it is making it look like people are wall hackers. What is Warzone “box glitch” & why does it look like wall hacks This new box glitch in Warzone is a visual effect that puts a giant white box on your screen, as well as makes your bullets do “ghost hitmarkers.” It also follows up by preventing your weapon from firing bullets for a couple of seconds. Warzone pro Aydan encountered this while he was streaming the game on January 14 and it had fans convinced something fishy was going on. As seen in the clip above, the Warzone star is firing at a door when he suddenly gets a white box and hitmarkers on his screen. However, once he goes inside the room, no one is sitting in the building. While the video goes on you hear Aydan say, “My s**t is bugged, my s**t is glitched, it’s like not shooting, I think I have a bug.” This is why other people believe that it’s just a bug. Some fans believed this was wall hacks because the white box popped up on a wall. However, people quickly noted that the box is actually the Airstrike reticle, which means that is in the game files. In a Reddit thread, user ‘Beautiful_Piccolo_51’ said “Yeah that’s not cheating, that white box on the door is actually a bug, it’s the airstrike reticle.” At the time of writing this, no one seems to know what causes the Airstrike reticle glitch to occur. However, since Airstrikes are a part of Warzone, people think this is just a glitch and not hacks, but while spectating it can look extremely suspicious.

Warzone boosts Activision microtransactions to over $1 billion in 3 months – Dexerto
Warzone boosts Activision microtransactions to over $1 billion in 3 months Infinity WardActivision Blizzard has confirmed Warzone is indeed the mammoth money-maker everyone was always expecting it to be; the ever-growing Modern Warfare battle royale boosted the Call of Duty publisher’s total Q3 2020 earnings to $1.77 billion, including $1.2 billion in microtransactions. [jwplayer AtwgkKlR] Activision Blizzard, the overseers in charge of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch, shattered expectations when they unveiled their Q3 2020 earnings on Oct. 29. The publisher made $1.77 billion over the past three months. Much of that, Dexerto can confirm the publishers revealed in an investors call on Thursday, was due to the popularity of Warzone. The new Modern Warfare battle royale has gone from strength to strength since its mega-sized release on March 10 earlier this year. According to Activision in the call, Warzone alone was responsible for bringing in a $773m slice of the total $1.7b sum. Modern Warfare sales also added to the haul. Activision’s Blizzard arm also raked in a hefty chunk of the Q3 profits. Hearthstone and World of Warcraft — which is just four weeks from its next expansion — made $411m. Finally, King’s mobile juggernaut ‘Candy Crush’ dominated with $536m. Activision Blizzard, across all of their games, generated $1.2 billion in revenue from microtransactions between July and September 2020. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) October 29, 2020 Warzone’s dominance in the past eight months comes as no surprise. Recently, the Call of Duty battle royale overtook genre leader Fortnite as the most popular free-to-play title on the market for teen gamers, according to Yahoo Finance. This has translated directly into Activision’s financial success. The publishers reported close to two-thirds of Warzone players either owned the full Modern Warfare title, or purchased the 2019 game’s multiplayer and campaign after playing. “What we’ve seen with Call of Duty is an amazing transformation,” Bobby Kotick, chief executive officer of Activision Blizzard, said. “The phenomenon we had with Warzone is so many people are buying the premium Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.” Call of Duty microtransactions were also four times higher thanks to Warzone. In raw numbers, this has led to a huge 38% increase in revenue year on year, or a $490 million spike between Q3 2019 and the new Q3 2020 earnings. “Warzone has really become an incredible addition to the franchise. It’s a central place where we can connect the entire Call of Duty community,” Kotick continued. “I think maintaining that tight connection to the game is really important, especially for players who want to check out everything Call of Duty has to offer. You saw that with Modern Warfare. We plan to continue that into the future.” Call of Duty has always been a juggernaut seller in the gaming community. It is now expected to continue its momentum into Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War early next month. Black Ops Cold War will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on Nov. 13 with all three connected via crossplay. World of Warcraft’s next expansion, Shadowlands, is also finally set to drop soon after, on Monday, Nov. 23.

Warzone Blueprint Blitz: Season 4 Reloaded game mode explained – Dexerto
Warzone Blueprint Blitz: Season 4 Reloaded game mode explained Activision / TreyarchWarzone’s Season 4 Reloaded updated is bringing with it plenty of exciting new content to the BR, but one of the most highly anticipated additions is that of Blueprint Blitz. The Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update includes the new OTs 9 SMG and Mace melee weapon, but it will also introduce a new event type. Blueprint Blitz is a new special global event that enables players to earn permanent weapon blueprints for their favorite loadouts. Raven Software added Blueprint Blitz as part of the new update, so if you’re looking to farm up weapon blueprints for a bunch of weapons, then you’ll definitely want to spend some time grinding out the new game mode. What is Warzone Blueprint Blitz? As the name suggests, Blueprint Blitz is a special event that enables players to unlock a variety of unique weapon designs. During the new special global event, Contraband Contracts automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts. These Contraband Contracts award you with a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward if you’re able to extract it from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match. This makes it extremely useful for those that wish to purchase loadouts and the new Sentry Gun Killstreak from the Buy Stations. However, the most exciting thing about Blueprint Blitz is that it enables players to earn Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons. This is particularly good news for newer players who have only just started their Warzone career or for returning players that might have missed past season weapon cosmetics. Read More: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded patch notes – The competition for these Contraband Contracts will certainly make Verdansk even more competitive, so make sure you take extra care when making your way over to the DZ. After all, we expect many squads will be camping at these locations with the aim of picking up some easy kills.

Warzone blueprint appears to deal 30% more damage than base weapon – Dexerto
Warzone blueprint appears to deal 30% more damage than base weapon TreyarchYouTuber JGOD has revealed that certain blueprint weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone appear to have a significant damage boost over their standard counterparts, as fans concern over ‘pay to win’ guns in the battle royale grows. Recent revelations in the Warzone community have concerned players of CoD’s sophomore battle royale, with many signs suggesting that blueprint weapons, specifically variants of the MAC-10, have received a sly buff over their base versions. Blueprint weapons are pre-built variants of base weapons, with specific attachments already equipped. They are only accessible through bundles and, to this point, were believed to be entirely cosmetic. It has previously emerged that the Gallantry MAC-10 variant dealt significantly more headshot damage and had more manageable recoil. However, in a January 9 YouTube video, JGOD revealed that the problems actually run far deeper. In the video, he returns to the MAC-10 Gallantry blueprint, and shows that its damage is significantly higher than that of the base weapon. After receiving a tip-off from a member of the Warzone community, JGOD found that the blueprint MAC-10 dealt roughly 30% more damage than the base version of the SMG. Breaking it down, JGOD shows that the blueprint MAC-10 deals more damage to every part of enemies’ bodies, particularly the head, chest and stomach. Similarly, the BOCW MP5, MW MP5 and base MAC-10 all come out relatively close when it come to TTK and range. However, throwing in the Gallantry variant shows just how overpowered it is, comprehensively beating out every aforementioned weapon at all ranges. Many fans are incredibly concerned about the weapon variant, simply because blueprints have, to this point, appeared to be cosmetic only. Their availability though – largely available through the purchasing of bundles – could signal a shift towards pay to win weaponry in the Call of Duty battle royale. Needless to say, questions have since been raised over other Warzone blueprints, with players wondering whether they will also provide a tangible advantage in almost every gunfight. Initially, the headshot difference was considered a mistake by the game’s developers, but recent discoveries regarding overall damage have led many to the conclusion they are intentional. As we have seen in past CoD titles, pay to win weapons are never looked upon favorably by the community. At the time of writing, neither Infinity Ward, Treyarch or Raven have addressed the disparity between the base MAC-10 and the far more viable blueprint.

Warzone mowed down by Lawn Mowing Simulator on Twitch as exodus continues – Dexerto
Warzone mowed down by Lawn Mowing Simulator on Twitch as exodus continues Activision / Skyhook GamesWarzone can’t catch a break on Twitch, with the Call of Duty battle royale even being overtaken by Lawn Mowing Simulator — if only briefly — on the platform’s charts. It comes as the exodus continues despite Vanguard’s release on the horizon. Instead of mowing down enemies in Warzone, why not mow lawns in Lawn Mowing Simulator? If you’re a Twitch streamer, it could even get you more views. The gardening game, spawned out of the likes of Farming Simulator, overtook the Call of Duty giant on Twitch — if only for a brief moment last month. Warzone’s average viewer count for the day was at 64,144 viewers. However, Lawn Mowing Simulator peaked at nearly 70,000 — 68,940 — leading to an instance where Warzone was trailing behind the sim game. One screenshot, shared by Lawn Mowing Simulator’s developers Skyhook Games, shows their title blow Warzone out of the water 66.8k viewers to 53.5k. “If you’d told us six months ago that Lawn Mowing Simulator would have touched the hearts and minds of our fellow lawn lovers like this, we’re not sure we’d have believed you,” the game’s developers said in a blog post. “While we had unshakeable faith in the game and our fabulous team from the off, we can’t help but admit that the incredible response to our love-letter to British lawn-cutting has blown us away.” Lawn Mowing Simulator overtook Warzone thanks to the likes of Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, Josh ‘JoshOG’ Beaver, and even Scottish comedian Brian ‘Limmy’ Limond streaming the title. xQc’s stream alone peaked at 68,649 viewers, making up 99.58% of Lawn Mowing Simulator’s watchers at its peak. “Is this a f*cking joke? Lawn Mowing Simulator?” If @DaftLimmy loves it we’re happy 😂 pic.twitter.com/jbjuUMFHCh — Lawn Mowing Simulator 🌱 Skyhook Games (@SkyhookGames) August 23, 2021 Warzone’s Twitch trend spells disaster ahead of Vanguard While one day — or even one hour — of Lawn Mowing Simulator overtaking Warzone might not seem like the end of the world, it’s part of a bigger exodus of creators from Call of Duty. Across August 2021, Warzone’s average viewer count on Twitch has dropped by around 15%. It used to be consistently above 100,000 viewers, but now sits around 80,000 excluding weekends and tournaments. Read More: Warzone September 15 update – Call of Duty Vanguard could be Warzone’s saving grace though. The next big hit of content will likely bring back the likes of Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff to the game from Apex Legends, even if only temporarily. Warzone and MW3 ban wave hits over 65K cheaters after big anti-cheat update – Dexerto
Warzone and MW3 ban wave hits over 65K cheaters after big anti-cheat update ActivisionThe Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone devs have, finally, given players a slice of what they’ve been asking for after rolling out yet another update around the RICOCHET anti-cheat. CoD’s problems with cheaters have been well-documented over the last few years. Initially, when they started taking over Verdansk and multiplayer lobbies, many players stepped away from the game until the developers rolled out an anti-cheat. That anti-cheat, which we know today as RICOCHET, has had its ups and downs still being implemented. Regular ban waves have gone out at times, but there have still been plenty of complaints from players about cheaters running wild. Things have gotten worse on that front following the Season 5 update for MW3, prompting some players to claim that the anti-cheat is no longer working because of how PC players can avoid detection through Xbox Game Pass. The devs had, already, rolled out a fix on that front, but now they’ve dropped another – purging the leaderboards of any cheaters. “The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team has deployed new detections targeting Ranked Play cheaters and boosters in Call of Duty: Warzone. #TeamRICOCHET has banned accounts caught in this sweep and leaderboards have been purged,” the devs said on July 31. They also noted that similar detections are being rolled out in Modern Warfare 3’s Ranked mode to tackle cheaters there too. “Excellent! We would love to see a full list of those Ranked cheaters who got booted,” one fan said. “YES! Keep going, there’s more,” another added. Three days later on August 3, the CoD devs issued another damning statement revealing further details surrounding the ban wave and purging of Ranked Play leaderboards. “#TeamRICOCHET has accelerated cheat vendor enforcements resulting in over 65,000 account bans across Ranked Play and non-Ranked modes in #Warzone and #MW3 this week,” the devs stated. Some players, however, urged the devs to fix the shadowban loops that they keep getting in despite not cheating. “One of the main issues is shadow ban loops. Legit players should not get penalized,” one added. “Amazing news. Now, fix the shadow ban loops!” another commented. The devs are looking to try and root out cheaters on a wider scale, but we’ll just have to wait and see if the other issues are addressed.

Fan-favorite Black Ops location rumored for leaked Avalon Warzone map – Dexerto
Fan-favorite Black Ops location rumored for leaked Avalon Warzone map ActivisionLeaks suggest a fan-favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops locale will return for Warzone’s alleged Avalon map once COD 2025 arrives. The Hacienda estate has held a special place in the hearts of Call of Duty players since the multiplayer map debuted in Black Ops 4. It has returned since then, notably appearing in COD Mobile’s Season 1: Heist update. Now, it looks like franchise faithful who are interested in revisiting the map in a mainline entry may be getting their wish. Call of Duty leaker RealityUK_ shared a screenshot showing an overhead view of the Hacienda locale as it will allegedly appear on Warzone’s leaked Avalon map. Activision has since removed the image with a copyright claim, but someone on Reddit managed to capture a screengrab of the original Twitter/X post. It’s clear as day that the overhead angle does indeed depict the Hacienda estate. The massive lion statue and terracotta roof especially give it away. This is not the first hint at Hacienda’s potential return, either. In August, leaker betterthanalaix shared file names of maps that will at some point receive the remaster treatment. Hacienda featured on the long list in question, along with the likes of Black Ops 1’s Firing Range and the Yemen locale from the Black Ops 2 days. At present, Activision has yet to reveal any details about Warzone’s leaked Avalon map. And while the map appeared in the Black Ops 6 beta, rumors suggest it will not become widely available until Call of Duty/Warzone 2025. Notably, Warzone is not getting a new map for Black Ops 6 as the battle royale mode will instead continue to use Al Mazrah. Warzone players can look forward to a new Resurgence map, though, Area 99. Referred to as the “birthplace of Nuketown,” Area 99 will let players do battle in a top-secret government locale built in the 1950s for nuclear weapons tests.

Warzone August 8 update patch notes: H4 Blixen nerf, Dev Error issue fixed – Dexerto
Warzone August 8 update patch notes: H4 Blixen nerf, Dev Error issue fixed ActivisionWarzone’s update 8 further nerfed the H4 Blixen and addressed an unfortunate game-breaking bug. Here’s the full patch notes from August 8. Updates have been coming thick and fast for Warzone. On August 3, Raven Software nerfed the NZ41, KG M40, and H4 Blixen. The developers stated, “some of the more recent additions to the Submachine gun category have been dominant and reduced the once great breadth that was on offer.” Among the recently added submachine guns, the H4 Blixen quickly became a go-to SMG and currently ranks as the second most selected weapon in Warzone, according to wzraznked. Warzone players complained that the ‘Dev Error 5476‘ glitch left players unable to play Warzone. Fortunately, the August 8 update addresses the bug. Raven Software also confirmed they are aware of players experiencing a crash at “Fetching Store Info.” Warzone August 8 update Here are the full patch notes: BUG FIXES Fixed an issue causing Players to encounter Dev Error 5476 which caused the game client to crash. – Fixed an issue causing the H4 Blixen’s (VG) 7.62 Gorenko 54 Round Mag to increase movement speed by 2% rather than decrease it as intended. – WEAPONS » Submachine Guns « H4 Blixen (VG) Max Damage reduced to 38, down from 39 –

Warzone August 6 update patch notes: Huge RPK nerf, Superi nerf, more – Dexerto
Warzone August 6 update patch notes: Huge RPK nerf, Superi nerf, more ActivisionPatch notes for Call of Duty: Warzone’s August 6 update have gone live, detailing a Superi 46 nerf, RPK tweaks, and more changes. Activision rolled out Warzone Season 5 on July 24, introducing a WWE collab and a handful of brand-new weapons like the Spear and STG Assault Rifle. While the latest update features several weapon-specific adjustments, none relate to the newer additions. Instead, the Superi 46 SMG has received another nerf, with one change decreasing its near-mid damage to 26. The RPK JAK Cataclysm conversion kit has also undergone a few big adjustments. One major tweak decreased its min damage from 120 down to 57, for example. This comes on the heels of players calling the JAK Cataclysm overpowered because the conversion kit had transformed the RPK into a one-shot killing machine. Warzone update patch notes The patch notes for Warzone’s August 6 update read as follows (via Activision): Global Customization Fixed an issue preventing the Lachmann-762 and TAQ-V Battle Rifles from equipping the Bioluminescent Camo. – Changed the default Finishing Move for the Rhea Ripley Operator to Riptide. – Warzone Weapons Superi 46 Near-Mid Damage decreased to 26, down from 29. – Min Damage decreased to 20, down from 25. – WSP Stinger Akimbo Max Damage decreased to 20, down from 24. – Near-Mid damage decreased to 18, down from 22. – Min Damage decreased to 17, down from 20. – – RPK [MWII] JAK Cataclysm Conversion Kit Max Damage decreased to 75, down from 140. – Near-Mid Damage decreased to 67, down from 130. – Min Damage decreased to 57, down from 120. – Max Damage Range decreased to 33.02 meters, down from 38.1. – Head Modifier decreased to 1.5x, down from 2.1x. – Upper Torso Modifier increased to 1.3x, up from 1.2x. – Lower Torso Modifier increased to 1.2x, up from 1.1x. – – Developer’s Note: We have adjusted the RPK JAK Cataclysm conversion kit to make it a 3 bullet elimination at the max range, as long as that includes at least 1 headshot. – COR-45 XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit Fixed an issue allowing a faster fire rate than intended. – – Bug Fixes Fixed an issue preventing the death marker from appearing after a player is eliminated. –

Warzone August 5 update patch notes: Krig nerf, CX-9 buff – Dexerto
Warzone August 5 update patch notes: Krig nerf, CX-9 buff ActivisionWarzone devs Raven Software have revealed a few weapon balancing changes in the August 5 update, and it could shake up the meta slightly ahead of Season 5. Most players have been pretty happy with the Warzone meta throughout Season 4, with several viable weapons and playstyles across the board. This might change slightly though as the August 5 update makes tweaks to certain meta weapons, with both the Krig 6 assault rifle and new SMG CX-9 being altered. There are rumored to be huge changes coming in Season 5, especially with a next-gen console update on the cards, so this could just be the calm before the storm. 🛠️ We have pushed an update to #Warzone with a couple Weapon tweaks 🙂 Krig 6 (BOCW) Lower Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1 Maximum Damage Range decreased from 1500 to 1400CX-9 (MW) Increased mid damage range from 20 to 21 Increased Headshot Multiplier from 1.4 to 1.45— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) August 5, 2021 Krig 6 nerf Lower torso multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1 – Maximum damage range decreased from 1500 to 1400 – CX-9 buff Increased mid damage range from 20 to 21 – Increased headshot multiplier from 1.4 to 1.45 – Overall, these aren’t the biggest weapon balancing changes we’ve ever seen. With the Krig 6 being the biggest competitor to the C58’s long-range dominance in Verdansk, it’s surprising to see the Cold War assault rifle nerfed. Meanwhile, the CX-9 hasn’t made much of an impact on the Warzone meta, so devs Raven Software are clearly looking to make it more of a big hitter in the SMG class. Whether it will be able to compete with the Bullfrog, Mac 10 or the MW MP5 remains to be seen. Season 5 of Warzone promises a whole host of new content for players to sink their teeth into. Expected to release on Thursday, August 12, there will likely be some small map changes as CoD 2021 — rumored to be a World War 2-themed game called Vanguard — grows ever closer.

Warzone August 3 patch notes: NZ41, KG M40 & Kilo nerfs, Whitley buff – Dexerto
Warzone August 3 patch notes: NZ41, KG M40 & Kilo nerfs, Whitley buff ActivisionThe Warzone August 3 update further weakens powerful assault rifles and addresses a few fan-requested bug issues. A gas mask issue frustrated players and caused match losses. Players took damage from the gas even if they had a gas mask equipped. Gas damage causes a loud cough from the operator, and that gives away players positioning. Raven said they addressed the issue, and the developers fixed an issue that caused an unintentional lighting change on Caldera. Following the Season 4 Reloaded update, some Warzone players complained that the sun in Warzone was far too bright. Raven quickly added the issue to Trello and made the changes. Popular Assault rifles such as the NZ41 and KG M40 received significant nerfs in the Season 4 Reloaded update. The developers nerfed both weapons again and adjusted a few other fan-favorite weapons. Warzone August 3 update: Full patch notes Raven tweeted out the new update and made changes based on feedback from the Season 4 Reloaded update. Most notably, the Kilo, NZ41, and KG M40, Marco 5, and H4 Blixen received slight nerfs. Surprisingly, the Volksstrumgewehr also received a nerf. Shotguns returned to relevancy after the Season 4 Reloaded update, but the VLK Rogue received a massive damage nerf. The Whitley light machine’s damage range increased bringing it more in line with other similar weapons. Here are the full patch notes: BUG FIXES Fixed an issue that caused Players to receive damage when entering the Gas due to a minor delay in the Gas Mask animation. – Fixed an issue that caused the incorrect amount of Armor to be applied when equipping or picking up the Tempered or Specialist Perks. – Fixed an issue that caused an unintentional lighting change on Caldera. – Fixed an issue that caused the “Last Alive” Player Card to display the incorrect text. – Fixed an issue that caused some Season Four Reloaded Calling Cards to display the incorrect text. – WEAPONS » Assault Rifles « Vargo-S (VG) Mirzoyan 414mm CustomMuzzle Velocity now increased by 35% – – We’re seeing good early performance data come through from the Vargo-S (VG) but the Muzzle Velocity was holding its long-range viability back. NZ-41 (VG) Headshot Locational Damage multiplier decreased to 1.3, down from 1.5 – Shot Deviation Increased – KG M40 (VG) Headshot Locational Damage multiplier decreased to 1.32, down from 1.46 – Neck Locational Damage multiplier increased to 1.32, up from 1.3 – As mentioned previously, our philosophy is to address the damage profile of weapons that are designed to be easier to control. The KG M40 (VG) has started to rear its head as the front-runner. This is mostly due to the reliability of landing headshots and has one of the highest head-shot accuracies in the game. By bringing this down we expect to see the weapon perform well, but not dominate. Volkssturmgewehr (VG) Min Damage decreased to 21, down from 22 – VDD 287mm Damage Range Penalty increased to -25%, down from -10% – Muzzle Velocity Penalty increased to -20%, down from -10% – Vertical Recoil Penalty increased to -21%, down from -12% – – Krausnick 428mm 05VDamage Range decreased to 26%, down from 40% – – We love seeing the Volkssturmgewehr (VG) start to find its place in the meta but are seeing its long-range efficiency become higher and higher. This indicates that more players have found accurate long-range builds with the weapon. A small adjustment in its min-damage reinforces the weapons identity as a powerhouse of close-to-mid range, but can be used at range when needed. Kilo (MW) Min Damage decreased to 22, down from 23 – While we’re thrilled to see the “return of the king” we’ve seen a high jump in KD particularly in the higher skilled brackets on the smaller maps. This is due to the relative ease of recoil that the kilo enables. While we like its handling where it is, as with the KG M40 we’ll be addressing its damage profile downward a bit. » Submachine Guns « Some of the more recent additions to the Submachine Gun category have been dominant and reduced the once great breadth that was on offer. This is mostly due to far superior handling. We’re making some strategic changes here in order to keep the weapons viable but open up the short-range meta back to its former glory. Warzone August 25 update patch notes: map exploits, Portable Redeploy glitch, more – Dexerto
Warzone August 25 update patch notes: map exploits, Portable Redeploy glitch, more ActivisionRaven Software released a minor Warzone update addressing map exploits and annoying glitches – here are the full patch notes. Warzone Season 5 made massive changes for the battle royale’s final hurrah. The EX1 and RA 225 join an extensive weapon pool, Serpentine received a nerf, and maps were reworked. The final battle royal season did not launch without a few hitches. Warzone players claim the Battle Hardened buff is broken, and the Crossbow nerf divided the community. Raven Software has been quick to act in the past, and the same could be said in this case as a minor patch released just one day after Season 5’s launch. Minor bugs and exploit fixes announced Raven Software said, “we have pushed a small update to Warzone with some bug fixes.” Most notably, players can no longer peek or shoot through unintended elements on Caldera. An issue preventing players from using the Portable Redeploy ballon was also resolved. According to Raven Software’s Trello board, the team is investigating issues with Private Matches. The World Series of Warzone NA qualifiers were delayed due to the problem, and Private Matches are still disabled. We will provide an update once Private Matches are live. Here are the full August 25 patch notes. Warzone August 25 patch notes Fixed additional collision issues with various elements across Caldera allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them. – Fixed an issue preventing Players from using the Portable Redeploy Balloon following certain actions such as operating a vehicle – encountering the “Field Upgrade Not Ready” message. – Fixed an issue causing the visual radial blur from falling to remain on screen during the Exfil sequence. – Fixed an issue causing Players to experience a black screen during the Exfil sequence if they were previously waiting to redeploy. –

Warzone August 20 update patch notes: FAMAS Shotgun fix and Bruen nerf – Dexerto
Warzone August 20 update patch notes: FAMAS Shotgun fix and Bruen nerf Infinity WardInfinity Ward pushed a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone that’s patched the FR 5.56 underbarrel shotgun exploit and the popular Bruen MK9, among other changes. This weapons tuning patch is one that will be welcomed very positively by the Warzone player-base, as it addresses two of the biggest gun-related concerns in the battle royale. Not only has the exploit with the FR 5.56 assault rifle’s underbarrel shotgun been fixed, but the devs have also further tweaked the Bruen, on top of its last round of nerfs in the August 11 patch. But with those nerfs also come buffs; the Season 5 update introduced the ISO, which has been a fun addition, but Infinity Ward have now made it so that the SMG will be a bit more forgiving for mobile-oriented playstyles. Warzone & Modern Warfare August 20 update patch notes 12-Gauge Deputy underbarrel shotgun Clamped close damage lethal range – Fixed damage falloff for the FR. 556 underbarrel shotgun – – Bruen MK9 Reduced upper torso damage – Base weapon – increased recoil – 60 Round Mag – Additional increased recoil – – ISO Reduced movement speed penalty for drum mags – Increased bade ADS movement speed – – 725 Sawed-off Barrel Small increase to ADS time – Small decrease to movement speed – Reduced close lethal damage range – – Bug fixes Fixed for an exploit near the Prison in Warzone – Removing the VO from the High Alert perk – – FR 5.56 underbarrel shotgun fix This balance comes fresh off the heels of community outcry against the FR 5.56 loadout that gives players the ability to insta-kill opponents with the 12 Gauge Deputy shotgun attachment. It didn’t take Infinity Ward long to identify the issue and promptly get to working on a fix. It was a quick turnaround for the devs, who have now pushed an update to try and hamper the strat by fixing the falloff damage to stymie those who intend to abuse it. Meanwhile, the close lethal damage of the attachment sounds like it’ll be more forgiving, possibly to allow victims reasonable room to counter it. Even more Bruen MK9 nerfs The Bruen got addressed as well, seeing as the light machine gun excels at dishing out an accurate barrage of gunfire. By reducing the damage to body shots and increasing the recoil from the base states, IW hope the LMG won’t be as oppressive as it’s shown to be. To help that goal even further, the devs even added additional recoil when the 60-round magazine is attached to suppress the Bruen further. While this shouldn’t completely kill the gun’s viability, the update will definitely knock down its incredible potency at picking off people from range. Since this is technically a hotfix and not a fully-fledged update, there is no downtime needed to install and implement it, so all the changes listed in the patch notes above should have gone immediately in effect.

Warzone August 16 update patch notes: MP5 & AS VAL nerfs, Fennec buff – Dexerto
Warzone August 16 update patch notes: MP5 & AS VAL nerfs, Fennec buff ActivisionA highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone weapon balancing patch dropped on August 16 and fans might not be happy. The beloved Modern Warfare MP5 got a series of nerfs, along with a nerf to the AS VAL, buff to the Fennec, and more. Warzone players love the now-nostalgic MW MP5 and its return to Verdansk’s meta was an exciting one for many. Unfortunately, those good days may (once again) be over, as it received sizable nerfs to its damage. In total, the new balance patch adjusts seven different weapons: AS VAL, Fennec, MW MP5, OTs 9, AMP 63, M19, and Sykov. Additionally, it came with a few bug fixes. The MP5 nerf is the obvious headline change, as this gun played a key role in the game’s meta to this point. With $200,000 in Warzone tournaments coming up just this week, players will likely need to pivot their loadouts with the quickness. Warzone balancing patch nerfs MP5 & more First day of the $100K @ROKKR Royale and… they just nerfed the MW MP5 in Warzone 😬 pic.twitter.com/j8cwrWJGea — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) August 16, 2021 The most interesting change to note is to the MW MP5, which has had its maximum damage decreased from 34 to 31 and its max damage range nerfed by 5.4%. As a balancing effort, they also buffed its torso damage multiplier from 1 to 1.1. Despite that buff, this is most certainly a net nerf and streamers aren’t thrilled. As for the other guns, the AS VAL, AMP 63, M19, and Sykov all got nerfed — while the Fennec (bullet velocity) and OTs 9 (ADS sway) got minor buffs. An important additional note was given for the ARs though, as Raven Software explained that changes to the upper echelon of viable ARs will be coming “very soon.” For what’s here now, though, you can check out the full patch notes below, including developer comments on the state of the game and upcoming changes. Full August 16 Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes Bug Fixes Fixed an issue allowing multiple Squads to enter the same Red Door. This addresses other related issues such as dying to Gas in the Red Door hallway. – – Fixed an issue where Battle Pass Tiers were not unlocked correctly when the Battle Pass or the Battle Pass Bundle were received as a gift. – Fixed an issue with the PPSh-41 (BOCW) where the KGB Eliminator and GRU Suppressor Attachment icons were appearing as white boxes. – Weapon Tuning We are generally pleased with the state of balance and we do not think anything needs to be immediately addressed. However, we do feel there are some outliers in the Assault Rifle category that have been top tier long enough that it is now appropriate to reduce their power level to give other Weapons some time in the spotlight. Those changes will be coming very soon. AS VAL (MW) Maximum Damage decreased from 30 to 27 – – The AS VAL (MW), following our balance overhaul, retained one of the fastest, easily achieved TTKs in the game. While its magazine capacity does hold it back, its TTK potential has remained well outside of the range we have been targeting. Fennec (MW) Bullet Velocity increased by 13.4% – – The Fennec (MW) has struggled to gain footing due to some glaring weaknesses. This change will make the Fennec (MW) viable at slightly further distances. Submachine Gun Charlie (MW) Maximum Damage decreased from 34 to 31 – Maximum Damage Range decreased by 5.4% – Upper Torso Damage Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.1 – – This change is intended to place some of the power of the Submachine Gun Charlie (MW) behind a mechanical requirement – making it a little less forgiving. OTs 9 (BOCW) ADS Weapon Sway decreased – – When making large, sweeping motions while aiming down sights with the OTs 9 (BOCW), players could find most of their front iron sights obstructed by the rear iron sights. This type of sightline obstruction can be frustrating when attempting to effectively track enemies. AMP 63 (BOCW) Maximum Damage decreased from 33 to 31 – Mid Damage now 28 – Minimum Damage decreased from 28 to 23 – – M19 (MW) This change only applies while using Akimbo Maximum Damage decreased from 33 to 29 – Mid Damage decreased from 28 to 25 – Minimum Damage decreased from 23 to 20 – – – This change only applies while using Akimbo – Sykov (MW) This change only applies while using the Sorokin 140mm Auto Maximum Damage decreased from 27 to 24 – Mid Damage decreased from 23 to 20 – Minimum Damage decreased from 19 to 17 – – – This change only applies while using the Sorokin 140mm Auto – Handguns were fortunate enough to evade the initial balance overhaul. These changes aim to place some of the most powerful Secondary Weapons at a power level that is more in line with other Weapons of their class. Warzone Aug 25 update patch notes: Contract bug fix, Looking for Party system explained – Dexerto
Warzone Aug 25 update patch notes: Contract bug fix, Looking for Party system explained ActivisionRaven Software have released another Warzone update targeting contract issues in the game and introducing a brand new “Looking for Party” system. So, let’s dive into the Warzone patch notes. The game’s developers have been hard at work recently, trying to crack down on hackers in the popular battle royale title. Call of Duty’s flagship BR has introduced new systems to track spoofers, stop them from making accounts, and even added a new feature to show when hackers have been banned in real-time. However, that’s not the only issue they have been working to fix, as the annoying contract bug has been irradiated in a new update – which rolled out on August 25. Raven Software posted: “A Warzone update is now live! Includes the new Look for Party feature, a new Weapon, and various Bug Fixes. The Season Five Patch Notes have been amended.” 🛠️ A #Warzone update is now live! Includes the new Look for Party feature, a new Weapon, and various Bug Fixes. Warzone Aug 20 update patch notes: C58 & Krig nerfs, Dead Silence counter, more – Dexerto
Warzone Aug 20 update patch notes: C58 & Krig nerfs, Dead Silence counter, more ActivisionWarzone has been dominated by assault rifles for quite some time now. However, that may change, as the C58 and Krig 6 are getting nerfed. This update is also buffing High Alert, as it will now allow players to hear someone using Dead Silence. Raven Software announced a surprise update to Warzone that is hitting assault rifles. The C58, Krig 6, and EM2 are all getting nerfed. The C58 and Krig 6 are two ARs that have dominated the meta the past few months, but may not be used anymore. Another huge update is coming to the High Alert perk. This will now allow players to hear people that are using Dead Silence. This update could certainly spice things up in Season 5. We’ve got you covered on everything that is happening, and you can find the full patch notes below. Assault Rifles nerfed while High Alert gets buff in Warzone update Warzone has been dominated with these “god-tier” or “no recoil” assault rifle loadouts for a few seasons. However, the devs might be shifting players away from this with changes to some of the popular ARs. The C58 was released in Season 4 and saw lots of action. Now, the C58 will see an increase in recoil and a huge decrease in its damage range. Another popular, low recoil AR is the Krig, and this too is seeing a huge change. This gun is having its maximum damage range decreased by just over seven percent, and its minimum damage lowered by one hit point. Season 5’s new EM2 also is getting hit with a minor nerf, this will see the ADS time slightly increased. Also, it will not longer revived a damage boost for shooting players at the torso. For quite some time is has been teased that High Alert will become the Dead Silence counter, and that is finally here. This perk will now allow you to hear a player’s footsteps while they activated Dead Silence. This is big for Warzone, because the community has been begging for a counter to this Field Upgrade. Although nothing is guaranteed to change players are still excited to see how these will shape up the meta in Warzone. Aug 20 Warzone Patch Notes Other bug fixes

Warzone Aug 11 update patch notes: Bruen nerf, FAL changes, more – Dexerto
Warzone Aug 11 update patch notes: Bruen nerf, FAL changes, more Infinity Ward[jwplayer m8miFj2M] Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward finally released the highly anticipated weapons tuning update for Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 on August 11, nerfing the almighty Bruen MK9, changing up the FAL, and more. For the last couple of months, the Bruen MK9 has been dominating Warzone as the near-unanimous choice for the most powerful longer-range weapon in the battle royale. It had gotten so bad with how many players were using the LMG, however, that much of the player-base began calling for Infinity Ward to nerf the gun, and now they have in their latest weapon balancing patch. The only change implemented is that its damage range has been reduced, with no specifics given in terms of statistics, so only time will tell whether or not the change will knock it off its perch. There’s also the case of the FAL, an assault rifle that was a mere afterthought for most of Modern Warfare’s game cycle before a recent update buffed it considerably, so much so that it became a premier option in both the multiplayer and BR. IW made some changes to it as well, but not all are nerfs: the “near damage” has been reduced so that limb and torso are always three-shot, but the headshot damage has been increased, making it a two-hit at range with one headshot. Both guns got the same two buffs: increased damage range and increased ADS speed, but with Infinity Ward not providing any stats or specifications, it’s not clear whether these improvements are uniform for both or if one got more of a boost than the other. Read More: CoD Black Ops Cold War easter egg solved – While neither has been prominently used in custom loadouts for Warzone or multiplayer, both are constantly featured as floor loot, so these buffs will have some influence in early-game gunfights. In fact, time will tell of course, but these buffs could be strong enough to where players begin experimenting with one or both LMGs as part of their own classes, so we could see a meta shift from the Bruen to either the Holger and/or the M91 at some point.

Warzone audio leaks reveal key details on upcoming Zombies Royale mode – Dexerto
Warzone audio leaks reveal key details on upcoming Zombies Royale mode ActivisionTreyarch’s iconic Call of Duty zombies will soon be taking over Warzone in a big way, according to dozens of datamined Black Ops Cold War voice lines that have leaked online months ahead of the launch. Black Ops Cold War will mark the return of the core zombies experience fans have come to love since its arrival in 2008’s World at War. Players can expect the traditional, round-based gameplay to kick off with a new crew, using new weapons on new maps. However, that’s not the only zombified mode coming to Treyarch’s highly anticipated release. Earlier Warzone leaks confirmed the existence of ‘Zombie Royale.’ This spin on the battle royale formula drops players into an enormous game of Infected. If you die, you’re brought back to life as a zombie to hunt down enemy teams. “The last team with a human alive” wins. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, dozens of leaked audio lines have revealed just how intricate the upcoming mode is. From the effects of gas on zombies to the way in which Buy Stations work, we’re able to make out a ton of new details from the leaks. Here’s what you need to know. “Zombie Royale” is confirmed to be the name for the upcoming mode, as the Warzone announcer reads out the title at the start of each match. Over 30 unique lines accompanied this quote in a September 21 leak. While some may be placeholders and many could go unused, it’s safe to assume a majority of these lines will play throughout any given round in Zombie Royale. From these voice lines, a ton of crucial details have outlined how the mode will play out. Gas will be closing in on players as usual with any Warzone playlist. In this variant, however, the gas is far more important. Not only are zombies “immune to the gas,” but it also makes them “more powerful.” While the goal is to be the last human standing, it appears there will also be other objectives to focus on. “Defend the chopper, the chopper is down, find your way out,” and “extraction failed,” all hint towards the notion of players escaping the map. It seems like teams will need to fend off swarms of zombies in the endgame. Survive long enough, and you’ll presumably board a chopper and fly to safety. If you go down in battle, it’s not quite the end of your run in Zombie Royale. You’ll respawn somewhere on the map as a flesh-craving zombie. If you’re successful during this phase, you’ll earn your way back to the land of the living. “Consume the remains of the dead to regain your humanity.” On top of this, players may be able to bring teammates back in a more traditional way as well. Buy Stations remain on the map in the Zombie Royale. From here, you can “raise the dead” to buyback allies as usual. The leaked audio also hints at some unique powers zombies will come equipped with in the special playlist. There’s no telling exactly what these might look like. However, we do already know that gas will power them up in some way. Below is a full transcription of every voice line leaked for the upcoming battle royale zombies experience. There are both Zombie Royale voicelines, and what can only be story-based easter eggs also included in the Warzone mode: Leaked ‘Zombie Royale’ voicelines “Zombie Royale.” – “Zombies are not effected by the gas.” – “Caution, zombies are immune to the gas.” – “Be careful, zombies are more powerful in the gas.” – “Kill them all.” – “Defend the chopper.” – “Final stand. Stay alive.” – “Chopper is down, fight your way out.” – “Extraction failed. Fight for your life.” – “Extract failed. Fight for your life.” – “Consume enough remains to respawn as a human.” – “You’ll become zombie if you die. A member of your team has to be human for extraction.” – “Last human team standing wins.” – “The dead will become zombies. Be the last human team standing to win.” – “You’re out, but your teammates can still buy you back.” – “Zombie teammate killed.” – “Raise the dead at Buy Stations.” – “You need to keep one person on your team alive.” – “You have regained your humanity.” – “You’ll become a zombie but you can still help your team take down the enemy.” – “Consume the remains of the dead to regain your humanity.” – “Zombies have special traits and abilities.” – “Use your zombie abilities to kill human players.” – “Your teammate has regained their humanity.” – “Your teammate is a zombie.” – “Your teammate is a zombie. Help them regain their humanity.” – Leaked story-based Zombies easter eggs “Charlie Alpha One Two, they’re all dead. Only they’re not dead… they’re not dead. Oh god… what have we done? You need to destroy the samples. Enter the correction code that will sterilize all the labs. Just remember…” – “This is station Charlie Alpha One Two, we’re under attack by some crazed, deformed assailants. We’ve lost [muffled character name – potentially ‘Hurtz’] to one of them.” – “This is station Charlie Alpha One Two, we’re under attack by some crazed, deformed assailants. We’ve lost [muffled character name – potentially ‘Volkov’] to one of them.” – “Charlie Alpha One Two here. Hurtz he… he was dead. We were sure he was dead. But he got up. He killed Santos and Kerney before we could take him down. Headshots seem to be the one sure way.” – “Charlie Alpha One Two here. Volkov he… he was dead. We were sure he was dead. But he got up. He killed Santos and Kerney before we could take him down. Headshots seem to be the one sure way.” –

Warzone audio is “best it’s ever been” but there’s still one big problem – Dexerto
Warzone audio is “best it’s ever been” but there’s still one big problem ActivisionThe Warzone community has heaped praise onto the battle royale celebrating its improved audio by describing it as the “best it’s ever been,” but one problem is still bothering players. Warzone has been affected by audio issues for years with players constantly complaining about its inconsistency. In an attempt to fix this, Raven Software has introduced a variety of audio updates over the last few months including important bug fixes and reworks to environmental sounds. These changes have paid off with the Warzone community now praising the game’s audio design with one such player expressing, “Credit where credit is due Audio is probably the best its ever been.” This Reddit post went on to explain, “Can hear footsteps from 10 to 20m depending on meterial and if someone is sprint or walking. Can hear parachutes from ages away, no more people landing on you from out of nowhere,” before insisting that these changes make Warzone “far less frustrating,” to play. Several others agreed with this sentiment with one such player responding, “Wayy better than last year,” and another, “Yeah I agree. Audio cues are largely in a good place now, and I’m on PS5 so no custom audio tunes going on.” While many agreed that the audio had come a long way, an equal amount of players were vocal about one big problem that they believe still hasn’t been addressed, vertical audio. Irritated by Warzone’s vertical audio issues, the most upvoted reply in the thread stated, “Speak for yourself lol i can hear people parachute in 100 meters away but apparently can’t hear people right behind me,” with OP themselves even admitting “Vertical audio is still dodgy.” This viewpoint was shared by a different user who commented, “The main issues are still the vertical audio (as already mentioned) and the issue of how the game prioritizes other sounds. So things like an airstrike can seemingly still almost completely erase footsteps nearby. That’s the only time I get snuck up on these days.” Looking at the views of the community, it is clear that although the battle royale’s audio is in a better state than before there is still work to be done. More updates are sure to follow with Warzone Season 3 coming in early April which has the potential to bring more audio improvements.

Warzone players furious as “awful” audio is already ruining Urkzistan – Dexerto
Warzone players furious as “awful” audio is already ruining Urkzistan Activision BlizzardCall of Duty: Warzone’s “awful” game audio is making it difficult for some players to enjoy the brand-new Urkzistan map. Sound-related issues have plagued Warzone in all of its forms for several years. Some issues result in sound effects not accounting for verticality. In other cases, directional gunshot audio has proven problematic, a particularly troublesome hiccup given Call of Duty’s competitive nature. The biggest problem for many players has revolved around inconsistent footstep audio, another issue that hinders the competitive experience. Unfortunately, these bugs remain unresolved, such that even new and exciting content releases are hard to enjoy in full. The recent rollout of Warzone’s Urzikstan map has forced the issue into the limelight once again. Warzone fans frustrated new update is filled with audio troubles The Season 1 update for Modern Warfare 3 just added the Urzikstan locale to Warzone. However, some players are trying to call attention to the egregious audio bugs holding the experience back. “Yo @RavenSoftware where is the footstep and game audio? Why are players just running up on us and no audio at all,” tweeted CharlieIntel not long after the patch went live. Warzone content creator Rhys Price brought up the same concern on social media, to which another creator responded by saying the “audio made me get off.” Unsurprisingly, the same discussion is making the rounds on Reddit, with one user calling Warzone’s audio outright “awful.” The comments show that many couldn’t agree with this sentiment more. Absent footstep sounds remain one of the biggest critiques. One person in the Reddit thread said they’re basically nonexistent. After running tests with a few friends, the player claimed the “only thing that’s audible is the sound of character(s) running (clothes, holsters, whatnot).” Another user commented on the inconsistency of the game’s audio. “The sound is terrible. Doors, windows and water are loud as hell. Steps and gun noise are non-existent.” As has become a trend in this regard, there’s no telling if or when developer Raven Software will issue a fix anytime soon.

Warzone Attack on Titan bundle leak reveals Levi Operator bundle – Dexerto
Warzone Attack on Titan bundle leak reveals Levi Operator bundle Activision/MAPPACoD Vanguard and Warzone’s Attack on Titan bundle has leaked ahead of its official release, giving players a detailed look at the Captain Levi Operator skin. Vanguard’s Attack on Titan bundle is certainly one of the most ambitious cosmetic releases to hit the WWII shooter. While the world of AoT may be filled with colossal human-eating Titans, the characters from the show are known for their military attire. One of the most popular figures is none other than Levi Ackerman – the Captain of the Survey Corps. This highly-skilled soldier is known for his expert sword skills and great leadership, which enables him to effortlessly cut through the Titan hordes. However, a recent leak has potentially given players an early look at the Attack on Titan bundle, showing how Levi will look in Warzone and Vanguard. Attack on Titan Vanguard & Warzone bundle leaked https://twitter.com/_Nanikos_/status/1471163451162566657 Following the release of the Warzone 1.50 update on December 15, a number of players discovered an Attack on Titan Tracer Pack in the Armory. Read More: CoD Vanguard update 1.09 patch notes – Like most Call of Duty leaks, it’s important to take this Attack on Titan reveal with a grain of salt. For now, Activision has yet to reveal the bundle’s release date, but given that the Tracer Pack has already been uncovered, it’s likely that the Levi Operator skin is close to making its debut.

Warzone’s new “elite” AR? SuperEvan shows off best C58 loadout that rivals FARA – Dexerto
Warzone’s new “elite” AR? SuperEvan shows off best C58 loadout that rivals FARA Instagram, @therealsuperevan / ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Warzone meta has opened up a ton after the CR-56 AMAX got nerfed (again) in Season 4. Now, XSET streamer SuperEvan is stomping lobbies with what just might be Warzone’s best C58 loadout. First, the AMAX got nerfed and the MG 82 became king. Then the 82 got nerfed and the FARA became king. Now, the FARA has been nerfed and — while it’s still the default option for most pros — the C58 is getting some serious love. The new AR doesn’t have the fastest firing rate or the easiest recoil, but it is a slapper. Looking at damage stats, it’s obvious why streamers are bringing it out. SuperEvan, one of Warzone’s five highest earners, has been tinkering with the C58 alongside his teammates. In a recent game, he dropped 39 kills with the gun as his primary and decided to share the unique class with viewers. SuperEvan’s “elite” C58 Warzone loadout Here’s SuperEvan’s full C58 class for Warzone, with some slight differences from the standard FARA build. Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 18.5” Task Force – Optic: Royal & Kross 4x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd – Most of the attachments here are fairly standard, with a major emphasis on damage, range, and recoil control. Interestingly, the Warzone pro prefers the Royal & Kross 4x over the Axial Arms 3x — noting that it feels better. As was the case with the multi-zoom scopes, sometimes people simply prefer different optics because the recoil is easier to read with them. That appears to be the case here, as it looks a lot simpler to shoot with that extra magnification. Rocking the C58 as his primary and the Cold War MP5 as his secondary, Ev dropped a 39-kill game while playing with MuTeX, Repullze, and his duo, DiazBiffle. His overall reaction to the fully built C58 class? “This thing absolutely fries.” While the FARA will remain a top-tier option for those who want easier recoil control, the C58 finds itself somewhere in between that gun and the high-damage, jerky-recoil XM4. Evan compares it to a pre-nerf AMAX (much like JGOD earlier claimed), referencing a high skill ceiling with a lot of damage potential. Feel free to swap out the 4x for the Axial Arms if you prefer it, but this “elite” C58 is definitely worth a look in your Warzone loadouts (especially if you’re already getting bored of the FARA).

Warzone AR loadout revives iconic Verdansk XM4 meta – Dexerto
Warzone AR loadout revives iconic Verdansk XM4 meta ActivisionThe XM4 was once a super-popular hybrid pick in Warzone Verdansk, able to be used as both an AR and an SMG depending on what you needed and how you built it. Now, this loadout from Modern Warfare 3 might give nostalgic players that XM4 feel again. There are a lot of elements of Warzone 1 that players reminisce fondly on. While we know that Verdansk is going to be returning at some point in the relatively near future, there are several iconic meta weapons and moments that players would love to see return or relive. One of those is the XM4, a top-level assault rifle pick in Black Ops Cold War that pros even banned in the Call of Duty League because it was so strong. While the M4 from Modern Warfare 2 has had its time in the spotlight, it isn’t great in comparison to the MW3 assault rifles, so players have had to adapt those classes to make them as strong as possible. That’s what tcTekk did when he created this throwback “XM4” loadout using the MCW from MW3. Here’s how he built it: Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Underbarrel: Paracord Grip – Magazine: 40 Round Mag – Optic: Nydar Model 2023 – Conversion Kit: JAK Raven Kit – While the gun won’t feel exactly like the XM4, it does get pretty close. As always, we would recommend trying this out but toying with some of the attachments to get something that feels best for you. For example, when the original XM4 was meta, many used it without a scope, so you may opt to drop the optic in order to add an extended magazine or a stock to allow you to be a little quicker. This all depends on your personal playstyle but, as far as recreating old metas go, this is about as close to the XM4 as you’ll get.

This is the first major update after a string of tune-ups that were focused on bug fixes and stability problems. From a small tweak to loadout drop timings to a complete makeover for regular battle royale, there’s plenty to talk about in the newest patch. Warzone April 19 patch note highlights The first big talking point is that the initial loadout drop of the game will now arrive earlier in the match so that players can get armored up and into big fights faster. One of the biggest talking points around Caldera was that the gameplay felt drastically slower than Verdansk at launch and this is just one more step to remedy that. Warzone anti-cheat watchdog reveals why hackers will “reduce significantly” in September – Dexerto
Warzone anti-cheat watchdog reveals why hackers will “reduce significantly” in September ActivisionHackers have been plaguing Call of Duty Warzone for ages now and despite efforts by Activision to keep the cheaters in check, they keep coming back. Luckily, things may finally be looking up for those wanting a clean battle royale experience. Anti-cheat Police Department is an established group of hack-hunters hellbent on exposing and shutting down cheaters in a number of games, including Warzone. According to the watchdog group, the fact that Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Warzone will drastically help in the fight against cheaters. Taking to Twitter, the organization explained: “Some good news if you hate cheaters Windows 7 will stop being supported by COD: Warzone on September 8th, 2021.” Some good news if you hate cheaters Windows 7 will stop being supported by COD: Warzone on September 8th, 2021. This will reduce cheaters significantly, that use win 7 to exploit the game, I suggest you update to windows 10, a matter of time before other companies do the same — Anti-Cheat Police Department 🕵️ (@AntiCheatPD) August 14, 2021 Warzone hackers exploit Windows 7 Apparently, lots of cheaters make use of older operating systems and by Warzone no longer functioning on it, the game will be better off. “This will reduce cheaters significantly, that use Windows 7 to exploit the game. I suggest you update to Windows 10, a matter of time before other companies do the same,” they added. September 8 isn’t that far off and it will be incredibly interesting to see just how significant of a decrease in hackers we end up seeing once Warzone is no longer playable on the OS. Though, it’s unclear how many Warzone players there are using Windows 7 to begin with. People who believe their potential is held back because of input lag that is in milliseconds, or just cheaters that exploit old version of windows — Anti-Cheat Police Department 🕵️ (@AntiCheatPD) August 14, 2021 When asked about why on earth anyone would use Windows 7 in the first place, the organization replied: “People who believe their potential is held back because of input lag that is in milliseconds, or just cheaters that exploit old version of Windows.” Combined with other anti-hack measures taken by Activision to combat spoofing and account selling, Warzone may finally be headed towards a spot where it’s playable. Plus, with rumors that a major anti-cheat will be introduced with COD: Vanguard, it’s possible that by 2022, Warzone could feel like a completely different experience. Let’s hope that the trend continues and more pieces of the anti-cheat puzzle fall into place.

Warzone anti-cheat shown in action as hacker does zero damage during fight ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s anti-cheat was demonstrated live as streamer JoeWo fought a hacker and discovered he was taking zero damage. Now, people are wondering what that means for other high-K/D accounts. There have been a lot of rumors about Warzone’s in-game mechanics to counter hackers. While people know that hackers are supposed to be banned, there have also been questions about how they’re countered in the game itself. In the past, some have thought that ‘bullet reg’ (when bullets that hit an enemy actually register as hitting them in-game) was influenced by player skill. Now, an extreme version of that seems to have been confirmed. While streaming, JoeWo got into a gunfight with a hacker. Despite the game suggesting bullets were hitting him, though, he was surprised to find out that the hacker did literally zero damage. Warzone anti-cheat makes hacker do zero damage Ricochet Anti-Cheat W. Ran across a cheater that couldn’t kill me because his bullets weren’t registering. Watch my health while I’m fighting it made it seem like I was getting FRIED. pic.twitter.com/3hfvkFXIzG — JoeWo (@AverageJoeWo) January 17, 2022 In the clip, you can see JoeWo fighting someone and his screen being splattered with red markers – showing that bullets are hitting him. Despite that, he’s able to push through the shots and down the enemy. Afterward, Joe sits there shocked for a second, before reacting with “that guy’s cheating.” Going further, he explains “he hit me like 50 times and my health didn’t go down … that is proof that cheaters are getting silent aim where their bullets aren’t reg’ing.” While some hackers are already upset that their cheats aren’t working so well, JoeWo posted this clip on Twitter, calling it a “Ricochet Anti-Cheat W.” Warzone punishing high-K/D players? For those of you that think skill based hit reg isn’t a thing look at what the anti cheat does.. lmao It’s implemented into the game and is 100% a thing https://t.co/q2C8RFjfcg — Gavin (@xUnrational) January 17, 2022 Other Warzone streamers have used this video to dive into further speculation, though. If the game is able to make it so that hackers’ bullets don’t actually register, UnRationaL says that is proof of “skill-based hit reg.” It’s good that the game is able to nerf hackers, but there’s a question of what this means for legitimate high-K/D players. The concern is that, if you have a monstrous K/D just because you’re good at the game, you could falsely be nerfed with worse hit reg.

Warzone anti-cheat confirmed with CoD: Vanguard integration – Dexerto
Warzone anti-cheat confirmed with CoD: Vanguard integration ActivisionWith the reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard, it has been confirmed that the game will be arriving with an anti-cheat system that will also be integrated into Warzone. Hacking has been one of the main talking points in Warzone ever since it launched. Despite numerous ban waves, the problem has continued to grow, with wallhacks and aimbots regularly running riot in Verdansk. Players have called for an anti-cheat system constantly, with top Warzone pros and streamers reaching the end of their tethers with the hacking issue and CDL legend Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter saying that the problem could effectively “ruin” the Challengers scene. Now, every Call of Duty player’s dream has been answered, and it looks like we could be set for a much-improved Warzone experience. With the Vanguard reveal, we’ve found a whole bunch of new information about the game, including the fact there will be 16 6v6 multiplayer maps at launch, some interesting campaign details, and that it will use the popular Modern Warfare and Warzone engine. Perhaps most important of all, though, especially for Warzone fans, is that an anti-cheat system is finally arriving. Vanguard looks wild & launches with something Warzone fans + tourney players have been dying for: an anti-cheat 🙌 pic.twitter.com/LgVM6ccsho — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) August 19, 2021 The developers have confirmed that a new anti-cheat system will be launched alongside the new Warzone experience, with the map slated to arrive in-game “later this year.” This will be sweet music to the ears of avid Warzone players who have found themselves growing increasingly frustrated with the hacking situation. While there’s no date yet set in stone for the arrival of anti-cheat and the new Warzone experience, we would expect it to arrive not long after the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Call of Duty: Vanguard will release on November 5, 2021, for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Warzone anti-cheat bans over 180,000 cheaters, but devs send warning for MW2 – Dexerto
Warzone anti-cheat bans over 180,000 cheaters, but devs send warning for MW2 ActivisionThe Call of Duty anti-cheat has caught nearly 200,000 hackers in two months as the Ricochet team at Activision looks ahead to Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 in the near future. Though the effort to stymie cheaters has proven to be effective in some capacity, Warzone and Vanguard players have been reeling with the amount of hackers still prevalent across different modes or matches. For the time being, Ricochet devs are putting their heads down to get to work on mitigation tactics to derail hackers. Still, the team was open about what the limitations that come with battling malicious players as the MW2 and Warzone 2.0 launch looms. Taking down hackers is a constant battle and that’s what the Activision anti-cheat department wants players to understand heading into the next era of CoD. In a June 16 blog, the devs gave more insight about how they’re putting a stop to the cheaters still miring the Warzone and Vanguard experience and how far we have left to go. Since late April, Call of Duty’s Ricochet defense has caught over 180,000 cheaters across both titles, with a lot of work still left to do. To continue this progress, Activision’s anti-cheat department asks players to manually report as many hackers as they can while making sure every legitimate account is backed by two-factor authentication. “RICOCHET Anti-Cheat continues to get smarter and better as time progresses,” they said, addressing what people can expect from Ricochet in Warzone 2.0 and MW2. “Will you encounter cheaters? Sadly, perhaps yes, but we are working endlessly to be faster and better to get them out of the game (by force or by annoyance) and let you focus on fun.” Now with months of learnings and thousands banned, we’ll have to wait and see how Call of Duty’s anti-cheat performs as the future of the franchise isn’t far away from releasing.

Warzone players find another infinite ammo exploit just days after latest bug fix – Dexerto
Warzone players find another infinite ammo exploit just days after latest bug fix ActivisionYet another new infinite ammo exploit has been uncovered in Warzone, despite the last bug fix arriving less than a week ago to specifically patch the issue. Since Warzone’s transition to Caldera with the Season 1 update, players have been abusing a number of game-breaking bugs. While some have completely ruined lobbies with flying vehicles, others have provided an endless supply of ammunition for cheeky wins. At first, players unearthed a trick with reload animations. Simply swapping to a different weapon at the right moment allowed certain guns to keep on firing. A week later, this particular exploit was swiftly removed from the game. However, just days after this January 20 patch fixed the problem, a new version has now taken Caldera by storm; once again, the community has found another way to gain unlimited ammo in Warzone. “Don’t mind me, just farming bullets,” Reddit user ‘AlexandruMacedon’ shared on January 26, six days after the original bug fix. In the span of just a few seconds, they were able to generate over a thousand AR/LMG rounds. This new trick ties directly to Vanguard’s weapon pool. Following the integration, the newest Warzone guns are able to equip two Weapon Perks. One such Perk is Fully Loaded. While the attachment intends to boost ammo reserves when first equipping a gun, there’s a way to game the system. By dropping all your ammo along with the desired weapon, you can then pick the gun back up and be met with full reserves once again. Each time you repeat the exploit provides another full inventory of ammo. In essence, you’ll never run out of bullets in Warzone again so long as you equip the Fully Loaded Perk. Naturally, many believe this new exploit will be “nerfed very quickly.” But for the time being, Raven Software is yet to address the latest bug. Expect to see far more loadouts incorporating Fully Loaded in the meantime. After all, never running dry is a huge advantage in the CoD battle royale.

Warzone announce decision to remove Vanguard Royale and merge into one BR mode – Dexerto
Warzone announce decision to remove Vanguard Royale and merge into one BR mode ActivisionWith Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, Raven Software have announced Vanguard Royale will be removed and merged to create one Battle Royale experience. Season 2 Reloaded drops on March 23 and there are plenty of changes in store. While Rebirth is getting a massive makeover, the core Battle Royale modes are getting similar treatment. When Season 1 dropped, players were given a Vanguard Royale, which only allowed players to use weapons from the newest CoD title. This not only affected the meta but also had different health rules. As part of uniting the community and creating one jointed experience, Raven have revealed that they are getting rid of it so there will only be one BR mode. Vanguard Royale Merging with core Royale On March 21, Raven revealed that Vanguard Royale would be merging with the classic battle royale to create one mode in Warzone. This was described as an effort to take the best of both worlds – from Vanguard Royale and normal Battle Royale – and make an ultimate experience. Vanguard Royale initially served as a way to learn the new guns and items, but now it’s time to put everything together from the three CoD titles. Raven Software had previously posted a poll asking if players wanted the 50 health buff across the core mode. And after a lopsided vote, it seems that the studio decided the best move was to combine the modes. With the merge of the two, this means that things like the 50 health buff, Big Game Bounties, and Restock Events that were a staple to Vanguard Royale, will be coming to the new Battle Royale experience. On top of that, this means that the meta could expand widely. Since you could only use Vanguard weapons in VGR, people may have forgotten about Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons. But, now these are definitely poised to come back into the meta. So make sure to check out our Ultimate loadout guide for all the best classes to rock on the new Warzone experience. Players will be able to drop in the moment Season 2 Reloaded releases, which is scheduled for March 23.

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 July 30 update patch notes: Superi 46 nerf, COR-45 buff and more – Dexerto
Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 July 30 update patch notes: Superi 46 nerf, COR-45 buff and more ActivisionA weapon balancing update in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 is set to shake up the close-range meta after a nerf to the Superi 46 and COR-45 buff. In the Season 5 update, the Superi 46’s movement, ADS, and sprint speeds were nerfed. As a result, the new Static-HV became a viable option, but most players still preferred the Superi 46 as its impressive damage values weren’t touched. In the most recent update, Raven Software rectified that oversight by decreasing the Superi 46’s max and mid damage ranges. We expect the Static-HV, WSP-9, and JAK BP50 to be new alternatives. Meanwhile, the Season 5 update also hammered the COR-45’s fire rate, knocking it out of contention. The development team acknowledged that the weapon change hurt the weapon too much and promised to make the COR-45 usable again. This update follows through on that pledge and also makes a series of bug fixes. Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 fans demand Activision copy new Fortnite anti-cheat measure – Dexerto
Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 fans demand Activision copy new Fortnite anti-cheat measure Epic Games / ActivisionCall of Duty players are demanding that Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 incorporate a new anti-cheat measure being introduced by Epic Games with Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4. Warzone’s major issues with cheating have been well documented, with publishers Activision struggling to get a handle on the BR’s hackers, even after RICOCHET anti-cheat’s introduction. Many players are hoping that Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, both rapidly approaching, will chart new cheat-free territory for the infamous FPS franchise. To that end, CoD players have been looking enviously at Fortnite, the building battle royale that recently began its fourth season of Chapter 3. Among the weapons changes and map overhaul was a much praised feature relating to anti-cheat. Warzone & Modern Warfare 2 players demand Fortnite-like Hardware Restrictions Under the subheading “Restricted Hardware”, the update means that any players using “devices that provide a competitive advantage may receive an in-game warning… Attempts to bypass this restriction will result in a permanent ban”. The specific devices mentioned were the Cronus Max and Cronus Zen, both of which have caused issues in Call of Duty. As a result, plenty of Call of Duty figures called on Activision to implement a similar feature. JGOD, a well-known Warzone statistician and content creator, tagged the Call of Duty Twitter account in his tweet, asking “When?” Plenty of other players responded to demand Activision try and emulate the feature moving forwards. One said: “It’s time for COD to crack down on the Cronus zen…I think more players use it than you think.” Another said: “If Call of Duty does this next a lot of people are about to have their KDs cut in half. This is a big step!” The battle against Cronus devices and other hardware cheats is far from simple, however. They are notoriously difficult to detect and are incredibly easy to purchase, with tech retailers of all capacity stocking them. Many clearly feel such a feature would be a step in the right direction for Call of Duty, though. Here’s hoping the revolutionary Fortnite feature does make the leap to CoD.

Warzone and Cold War players want fix for “terrible” Battle Axe melee weapon – Dexerto
Warzone and Cold War players want fix for “terrible” Battle Axe melee weapon ActivisionWith Warzone and Cold War Season 6, players were given a chance to unlock and wield a deadly melee weapon, the Battle Axe. However, people are complaining about how underwhelming it is in-game. Season 6 is just getting underway bringing tons of new content for Call of Duty players. While players are required to complete a challenge to unlock some of the content, it seems that it isn’t worth grinding for some of them. Despite getting good weapons such as the Grav and .410 Ironhide, fans are upset over the underwhelming Battle Axe melee and want it fixed. Not sure what they were thinking with the Battle Axe, but it is Terrible. Would not recommend using. Here is how it looks as Golden Viper, Plague Diamond, and Dark Aether. pic.twitter.com/Ggyt26Devh — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) October 10, 2021 Warzone and Cold War players want Battle Axe melee fixed Now that players have had the opportunity to use the Battle Axe in Warzone and Cold War, a lot of people are calling it “terrible.” This Reddit thread posted by ‘footballl_rpg’ points out some of the issues that have come with the new melee weapon. The first point that everyone agrees on is the hitbox it has. Players have complained that they are swinging the axe multiple times within striking distance but are still missing enemies. To make matters worse, character models and the axe make loud noises when using it so others are aware that you are nearby. Some players believe that this melee weapon is glitched and not working the way it’s intended. A Redditor said, “I genuinely believe the weapon in its current state is broken and not working as intended. It misses SO MANY hits, which is unbelievable, frustrating and made me regret buying the bundle.” Tell me about it lmao I got pistol whipped while using it and lost. pic.twitter.com/jLTvqNuxY3 — Shayan M (@ShayanMosaffa) October 10, 2021 While players continue to complain you can see in the video above that a person lost a punching fight to a person using their gun when they had the Battle Axe. At the time of writing this, Activision has not commented on the state of the axe but the community is hopeful a change will come soon.

Warzone and CoD 2021 anti-cheat in development, leaker claims – Dexerto
Warzone and CoD 2021 anti-cheat in development, leaker claims ActivisionAn anti-cheat system is reportedly in the works for CoD 2021 and Warzone, as the developers look to address the single biggest gripe among their player base. Call of Duty titles have long been the focus for hackers and cheat makers, causing the state of both main series titles Black Ops Cold War, and its Warzone battle royale to deteriorate. It’s been a constant struggle for all involved, but it looks like there could be a meaningful solution to the franchise’s problems soon. Warzone anti-cheat leaked Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson claims that a highly requested anti-cheat software will soon come to the game. “A new anti-cheat system for the next Call of Duty title has been in development for over a year. The same system will be implemented into Warzone,” Henderson said. A new anti-cheat system for the next Call of Duty title has been in development for over a year. The same system will be implemented into Warzone. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) August 11, 2021 There is no official confirmation from Activision or Ravensoft about a potential anti-cheat software, however there have been hints that would suggest it. On Aug 11, Ravensoft announced they had banned over 50,000 Warzone accounts in their latest player purge. While that’s a welcomed sight, critics voiced concerns that hackers would simply create another account and continue to cheat in Warzone. Along with the news, Ravensoft said they were working to deliver something they’ve been hearing the community clamor for. “More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes,” the devs said. “We will have more info for you soon.” BOCW and Warzone’s player base and streamers have been begging for a viable way to counter hackers. Other than mass bans, there’s been little response from the developers on a long-term solution. Dr Disrespect, NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman, TeePee, and more are just a handful of big-name streamers who’ve temporarily moved on to other battle royales like Apex Legends due to consistent hackers ruining games. This is a crucial moment in Warzone’s lifespan, and it’ll be interesting to see if Activision can successfully ship out an anti-cheat before the launch of CoD Vanguard.

Warzone analyst TrueGameData shows why AS44 has the most efficient TTK – Dexerto
Warzone analyst TrueGameData shows why AS44 has the most efficient TTK Activision / TrueGameDataWarzone gun expert ‘TrueGameData’ broke down all of the Vanguard weapons in the battle royale and revealed that the AS44 has the most efficient TTK based on its level of difficulty, damage, and recoil. Pacific Season 2 has arguably been one of the best meta-wise. Nerfs to the MP-40 and Bren has opened up the arsenal of weapons that Warzone has to offer, with many different combinations making appearances. Even though we are well into the season, players are still torn between a handful of guns to determine which one truly runs Caldera right now. TrueGameData has taken matters into his own hands as he claimed in a YouTube video that the AS44 is actually the best gun in Warzone and has a great TTK. TrueGameData claims AS44 is best Warzone gun In his video, TGD shows a spreadsheet with 14 different loadout combinations. He explained that he has ranked these guns with four different elements in mind: How difficult they are to use, bullet velocity, recoil control, and of course TTK. His top ranking gun is the AS44, with a handful of Bren combinations following. But focusing on the AS44, TrueGameData reveals that at medium to long-range, the gun has the lowest drop off when it comes to damage. A huge factor that pushes this weapon over is the ADS speed of a gun, which the AS44 “has much, much, much faster ADS time than the Bren.” The Bren only takes over for about 10 meters, but if you keep in mind the ADS time of the gun, then the AS44 is easily the better option. If you’re looking for TGD’s build, don’t worry, we have that too. TrueGameData Warzone AS44 loadout Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Kovalevskaya 615mm – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Kovalevskaya Custom – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: .30 Russian Short 60 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk 1: Steady – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – In this build, TGD says that he did “tons of research” to create the perfect build for this weapon. Instead of focusing on early recoil control on the weapon, he went for sustained firing control. Since he is using the .30 Russian Short 60 Round Mags, he is able to allow the first 5-7 shots to go a little crazy and reground for the last 50. The Bren has dominated Warzone for well over two months but TGD said, “It’s kind of a special gun and really the only thing I think that can compete with the Bren in a real sense.”

Warzone analyst reveals best Vanguard sniper loadout to dominate Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone analyst reveals best Vanguard sniper loadout to dominate Caldera ActivisionWarzone gun expert TrueGameData has compared six snipers in the battle royale to discover that the best long range Vanguard loadout lies in the Kar98k. Whether going for montage clips or picking off enemies from a distance, sniping has been a staple of Warzone. While the Modern Warfare Kar98k and Swiss K31 have been the best for months, with the move to the Pacific players have been looking for a good Vanguard sniper. So, Warzone guru TrueGameData decided to do the deed for the community and show data for why the Vanguard Kar98k is the best option. TrueGameData reveals best Warzone Vanguard sniper loadout In an effort to find the best Vanguard sniper in the battle royale, Warzone expert TrueGameData did some digging. In a YoutTube video, he compared them to popular snipers like the Modern Warfare Kar98k and the Swiss K31. In his research he found that Vanguard’s Kar98k was actually the best option to use. With an insane ADS speed and minimal flinch, here’s the loadout he uses. Vanguard Kar98K loadout Muzzle: Scout Silencer – Barrel: VDD RE02K – Optic: 1913 Variable 4-8x – Stock: VDD Thumbhole – Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 5 Round Fast Mag – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Leather Grip – Perk: Fleet – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – The Scout Silencer and Leather Grip are two of the most important attachments as these heavily contribute toward making the aim down sight speed insanely fast. When taking a look at the chart the Vanguard Kar has the fastest ADS time, which is thanks to this build. While it lacks damage compared to the others, its flinch and aim sway also propel it to the top. Flinch has become a huge issue with the previous meta sniper due to an update. However he believes that with this loadout it minimizes that issue. TrueGameData said, “I think this is actually a really good build, and will be competitive with the old snipers that we used to have like the Swiss and the [MW] Kar.”

Warzone analyst claims the Bren was ‘stealth nerfed’ in recent patch – Dexerto
Warzone analyst claims the Bren was ‘stealth nerfed’ in recent patch ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone analyst TrueGameData is advising players that the popular Bren LMG was ‘stealth nerfed’ in a recent update. According to his research, the meta weapon’s locational damage multipliers have been tweaked. There are basically two analysts in the Warzone community that are trusted by streamers and fans alike. The first is JGOD, whose loadouts are used by most top players. The second is TrueGameData, whose weapon research regularly unearths secret changes and bugs. The latter, TGD, is now warning players that their preferred LMG just might not be as punchy as it once was. With months of the Bren dominating the meta, players grew frustrated with the powerful weapon and called for nerfs. It was, then, nerfed on March 2 – but TGD believes another set of silent nerfs were also deployed. Warzone Bren LMG secretly nerfed? It appears Bren caught a stealth nerf sometime in the last couple of patches. Upper arm and stomach used to do chest damage, they now do lower extremities damage Still top tier — 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 (@TrueGameData) March 17, 2022 As TGD explained, the Bren seems to have received “a stealth nerf sometime in the last couple of patches.” Going into detail, the gun researcher noted that the upper arm and stomach damage multiplies, which used to have the same profile as chest damage, “now do lower extremities damage” instead. For those concerned that these changes might have made the gun unusable, he then comforted players that the LMG remains “top tier.” Back in February, a patch did reveal a similar nerf to the Bren’s upper arm and stomach multipliers. That update did not specify whether or not the decreased multipliers were in line with lower-extremity values, though, so it’s unclear whether TGD simply missed that patch or if this is a further nerf than before. Regardless, those who use the Bren shouldn’t be too worried. It’s useful to know that the gun doesn’t damage upper arms and stomachs as much as before, but it remains one of the meta primary weapons and very viable.

Warzone almost pivoted from a BR to become a GTA Online clone – Dexerto
Warzone almost pivoted from a BR to become a GTA Online clone ActivisionAn ex-CoD dev has revealed that Warzone could have launched as a GTA Online clone as development plans nearly pivoted from away from the Battle Royale genre. Despite being a little late to the Battle Royale scene, Warzone quickly became a hallmark of BRs as CoD’s spin on the genre hooked millions of players on a daily basis. However, Warzone could have turned out very differently, according to an ex-CoD dev, who just revealed in the middle of Warzone’s development, the team was asked to pivot to make the game more of a GTA Online clone and not a BR. Clip starts at 10:36 Talking to Glitching Queen about the scrapped standalone CoD Zombies game, ex-Raven Software dev Michael Gummelt discussed his work on Warzone and revealed that during the project’s development, could have become a GTA-esque version of Warzone. “There was all sorts of stuff we prototyped that did not ship,” Gummelt said. “We had missions on the map, and there were AI on the map, and they would spawn in the map and you would go around the map fighting other teams but also AI that are also in these areas by doing contracts and all of this other stuff.” As for why Warzone nearly pivoted away from its Battle Royale mode to a mode GTA Online-esque copycate, he claimed it was because higher-ups wanted to make Warzone as broad as possible, who then pushed for the GTA-like approach. “The project director on [Warzone], Pat Kelly, his vision for it was always like GTA, it’s GTA Online but Call of Duty. There’s this persistent world that you could drop into and be able to do missions and get out,” Gummelt said. However, none of their ideas would be fully scrapped, as all of their prototyped ideas would go on to become DMZ, or were subsequently added to Warzone 2.0.

Warzone aim assist is so strong it counters speed hackers & players can’t believe it – Dexerto
Warzone aim assist is so strong it counters speed hackers & players can’t believe it ActivisionWarzone players have been left gobsmacked as speed hackers have started to meet their match, in the form of controller players with aim assist. Now, they’re using it to demand controller nerfs once again. The aim assist debate has been once that’s raged in multiplayer shooter games ever since cross-platform play first started getting popular, forming a divide between mouse and keyboard players and their controller counterparts. Many mouse and key players believe that aim assist gives controller users an unfair advantage and, with this clip that’s starting to go viral, it looks like they might have a point. As shown, when coming up against speed hackers zipping around Vondel like The Flash, streamer Falnets, who plays on controller, had little trouble tracking the cheaters’ movements and getting the finish on them, much to the bemusement of M&K players. It didn’t take long for the clips to start gaining traction, much of it from mouse and keyboard players who couldn’t believe what they were seeing. In the comments, some players suggest that the game is a “joke” because rotational aim assist can keep up with the player so easily, while others even compared it to “legalized cheating.” “If you still think COD rotational aim assist is fair and balanced after this clip, you’re not allowed to complain about audio tweaks EVER again,” said content creator Westie. “Guy is trying to fight speed hackers and the AA still doesn’t let go! This is insane.” Obviously, this has raised some questions from players over whether aim assist is even more overpowered than they first anticipated, as technically you wouldn’t expect anybody to be able to follow a speed hacker in this manner. While the bigger issue in the game is, of course, the abundance of hackers, this has caused a stir that could get some controller players to reconsider whether aim assist maybe is a little stronger than they initially thought.

Warzone YouTuber JGOD reveals how Advanced UAVs are better than triple UAVs – Dexerto
Warzone YouTuber JGOD reveals how Advanced UAVs are better than triple UAVs ActivisionWith Advanced UAVs now back in Warzone Season 2, popular YouTuber JGOD has revealed the key benefits and highlighted why they’re “significantly better” than stacking regular UAVs. If you’re trying to gain the upper hand in Warzone, UAVs are one of the best ways to do so. The standard version of the killstreak quickly illuminates enemies on the map so you can hunt them down. However, there’s always been one hard counter: Ghost. With more and more players bolstering their loadouts with the stealth perk, it all but negates the effect of a regular UAV. Thankfully, there’s always been a way to create an even more powerful UAV. By stacking three at the same time, you’ll reveal every single enemy on the map. So how does this common strategy differ from Advanced UAVs now appearing in Season 2’s hidden Buy Stations? JGOD broke it all down in an April 6 YouTube video. The downside of stacking regular UAVs in Warzone When it comes to regular UAVs, calling one in gives you “approximately 40 seconds” of intel. Calling in multiple will “stack” that time. Meaning you’ll have enemy positions on your radar for a considerable amount of time. “It shows everyone on the map, regardless of if they have Ghost or not,” JGOD said. Though there’s one major downside to the effect. As you close in on enemies, their icon will disappear from the map. This applies “in a 250-meter radius.” So while stacking UAVs will give you a good understanding of where everyone is on the map, it won’t help you fend off those in close proximity. Exemplifying this, JGOD flew over a team in a game of Plunder. While they were on the ground shooting right at him, their icons on the minimap were nowhere to be seen. Why Advanced UAVs are superior in Warzone Having appeared sporadically throughout Warzone’s first year, Advanced UAVs are now back in the tail end of Season 2. These powerful streaks will run you $12,000 at a new Buy Station, though they’re completely worth the hefty fee, according to JGOD. Advanced UAVs are “one of the most powerful things in all of Warzone because it is a hard counter to Ghost. “While it only lasts 40 seconds, it will show all players regardless of if you’re 5 meters away, 2,000 meters away, it does not matter. It will show every single player on the map and there is nothing anyone can do to counter it.” To help that little bit more, players with and without Ghost are distinguished while an Advanced UAV is live. Ghosted players appear as circles on the map while non-Ghosted targets are triangles. Rather than displaying enemy directions with said triangles, Ghosted players have their own unique intel. The Advanced UAV will display their elevation, relative to your position. Small indicators above or below their circle on the map will tell you if they have the high ground or not. Ultimately, Advanced UAVs are “significantly different” from stacking regular UAVs. Not only in terms of “how good they are” but also in “how you want to use them.” For JGOD’s money, if you’re playing for high-kill games, the advanced option might be a little out of your budget for just 40 seconds of intel. But if you’re playing to secure a win, Advanced UAVs will be far more beneficial.

Warzone adds Vanguard guns to Season 6 Battle Pass: STG & M1 Garand – Dexerto
Warzone adds Vanguard guns to Season 6 Battle Pass: STG & M1 Garand ActivisionFor the first time in Call of Duty and Warzone history, players can now play with the upcoming CoD title’s guns before official release. Both Vanguard’s STG assault rifle and M1 Garand have been added to Season 6’s Battle Pass. Warzone players were a bit confused when Season 6 launched with the STG 44 and M1 Garand in the gunsmith. But now it all makes sense, as the developers have officially added both guns to the game a month before Vanguard’s release. In an unexpected twist, the Season 6 Battle Pass has received an additional 24 tiers of unlockable free Vanguard content (nestled alongside current tiers). Among those tiers are blueprints for the two unreleased guns. While Vanguard will release on November 5, the new Battle Pass additions allow players to test the new guns out in advance. Additionally, people will be able to level them up (while unable to modify the blueprints in the gunsmith). Warzone adds Vanguard STG & M1 Garand to Season 6 Battle Pass NEW: Unlock exclusive Call of Duty: Vanguard content in Call of Duty: Warzone. This includes the STG and M1 Garand. 24 Tiers of Vanguard content have been added to the Season 6 Battle Pass. If you already passed a tier with the content, it’s available for you today. pic.twitter.com/oDmd2lluWD — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) October 12, 2021 As further explained in a CoD blog post, you can now add both the STG 44 and M1 Garand to your Warzone loadouts. Each weapon will receive two blueprints in the game, allowing players to test out different attachments even though they can’t be altered just yet. Additionally, the camos can also not be activated just yet — so players will be forced to stay with the base blueprints. This is still wildly new for the franchise, though, as no CoD title has ever let players use upcoming guns on a current game before. Vanguard STG & M1 Garand blueprints in Warzone Season 6: attachments, unlock tiers As has been previously discussed, Vanguard weapons will be able to hold up to 10 attachments in Warzone. This is up from five for the battle royale (and up from seven maximum in Black Ops Cold War). Here are the four blueprints being added, as well as the number of attachments and Battle Pass unlock tier for each: Bonerattler STG 44 (7 attachments): Tier 24 – Warning Track STG 44 (10 attachments): Tier 64 – White Obsidian M1 Garand (8 attachments): Tier 34 – Heirloom M1 Garand (8 attachments): Tier 72 – These additions will definitely spice up the Season 6 Battle Pass. And one has to wonder if they’ll be able to spice up the Warzone meta before Vanguard’s release as well. There’s only one way to find out though, so you can be sure that players are going to be hitting the grind early and often.

Warzone adds two popular Apex Legends-inspired features in Season 2 update – Dexerto
Warzone adds two popular Apex Legends-inspired features in Season 2 update Activision / Respawn EntertainmentTwo fan-favorite Apex Legends features are on the way to Warzone in Season 2 as Raven Software has revealed Redeploy Balloons and Heat Shield-inspired items locked in for the next major patch. After weeks of speculation surrounding Warzone Season 2 leaks, devs have finally confirmed what’s in store for the CoD battle royale in the next update. For fans of Apex Legends, a handful of new additions should make you feel right at home in Caldera. Alongside a raft of new weapons, playlists, and even map changes in Season 2 comes a few particular features that take inspiration from Apex Legends. One drastically changes the pace of Warzone while the other gives teams a new way to counter deadly gas. Taking after the red balloons and Heat Shields in Apex, here’s how Raven is adopting two key features from Respawn’s hit title. Red Balloons from Apex Legends arrive in Warzone Ever since Warzone jumped to the Pacific with the Season 1 update, players have been vocal about their displeasure with Caldera. As a larger, more open map than Verdansk, the locale has been the subject of ample criticism. Looking to make amends and improve the experience, Redeploy Balloons have been plucked right out of Apex and added to Warzone. Soon to be scattered across Caldera, this new mechanic works exactly as it does in EA’s title. Players can latch on, ascend towards the sky, and then soar back down to the ground. Read More: Warzone 2: Everything we know – Not only can it help your squad flee from a tough gunfight, it also serves as a way to reposition in the blink of an eye. This has long been one of the best ways to rotate in Apex and now, it could prove hugely beneficial in Warzone as well. Heat Shields added as new Field Equipment in Warzone Next up in the Warzone Season 2 patch comes the Portable Decontamination Station (P.D.S.). As its name suggests, this powerful equipment can “filtrate air for several seconds,” allowing players to survive out in toxic gas. This will ring a few bells for experienced Apex players as Heat Shields fill a similar role. Just by deploying this item, Legends can remain outside of the ring for a brief moment. It’s too early to gauge just how effective the feature might be in Warzone, but fans were quick to raise their eyebrows after the P.D.S. announcement. Read More: Ultimate Warzone event calendar – While some lashed out at the CoD BR “copying” Apex, others voiced concerns over the power of the new equipment. “Heat Shields in Warzone is not a good idea,” one player argued on Reddit. Devs do often take inspiration from one another in the BR genre, and Warzone is no exception. Even Fortnite is occasionally adding features from the CoD release. These Apex-style features are just the latest in a trend that’s sure to continue. It’s barely the tip of the iceberg in what’s to come in Warzone’s mega Season 2 update, however. Be sure to brush up on everything else on the way before the patch arrives.

Warzone adds new “Single Tap” Tac Sprint settings to combat thumb injuries – Dexerto
Warzone adds new “Single Tap” Tac Sprint settings to combat thumb injuries ActivisionWhile the Tactical Sprint mechanic in Warzone is useful, activating it multiple times a game can wear on your thumbs, so Raven Software has debuted new “Single Tap” Tac Sprint settings to give players more control over how they move around the map. Warzone’s Verdansk is a huge map and any player that likes to move around it with any sort of efficiency will be happy to hear about the three new sprinting options that secretly arrived in the game recently. This update aims to reduce the repeated stress on your hands as well as allow players to customize the movement settings to their liking. Before this, the only fix was to enable the Auto Tac Sprint setting in the Controller options, but now there are a few combinations that players can fine-tune to their liking. While the debate about allowing ATS is still an issue elsewhere in the Call of Duty community, the Warzone faithful don’t have to worry about that and can enjoy these new settings however they would like. Warzone’s new Tactical Sprint settings will save your thumbs The three new settings are Double Tap, Single Tap from Run, and Single Tap from Sprint. While that may sound a little confusing, here’s how it all breaks down: Double Tap is the standard setting for Tactical Sprint. In order to activate it, simply click-in your left joystick twice while running. – Single Tap from Run means that you can click in the stick just a single time while running to activate tactical sprint. – Single Tap from Sprint means that you need to click-in your stick to begin sprinting, and then once more to begin Tactical Sprinting. This is different from the Double Tap setting, as it allows you to sprint for as long as you’d like before using the second click. – How do the new Sprinting options affect your settings? Each of these new settings will act as a companion to your previous setup instead of replacing it. If you had the Auto-Sprint option enabled before, you can turn on “Single Tap from Sprint” and the game will recognize your left thumbstick input as a sprint, meaning you won’t have to worry about conflicting settings. The same goes for anyone who uses Auto Tactical Sprint, as enabling it will override any of the other variations. This may not be a revolutionary change, but any update that makes life easier and more accessible for players is always welcome.

Warzone adds Portable Redeploy Balloons & Weapon Trade Stations to Caldera in Season 4 – Dexerto
Warzone adds Portable Redeploy Balloons & Weapon Trade Stations to Caldera in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone Season 4 has long been teased to bring a whole new flavor of gameplay to Caldera and the addition of two new features — the portable Redeploy Balloon and the Weapon Trading Station—serve as the base for that sweeping change. Mercenaries of Fortune is here and Warzone is set for a big-time gameplay shakeup. On top of the standard weapon balancing changes, Season 4 is bringing a ton of new features to the forefront. The two biggest changes to gameplay though are the arrival of the Weapon Trading Station from Rebirth Island and the debut of a portable version of the Redeploy Balloons that were previously stationary around the map. Portable Redeploy Balloons and Weapon Trade Stations on Caldera Weapon Trade Stations first popped up on Rebirth Island as part of the Season Two Reloaded update. These interactive workshops allowed players to trade in high-quality weapons in exchange for more common weapons that come with big upgrades in return. So if a player traded in a Legendary rarity weapon, they would get a Rare alternative back but also receive a Legendary Field Upgrade, some Tacticals, and maybe even a Specialist token as a reward. 📢 #Warzone Season Four launches at 9AM PST! New Map – Fortune’s Keep, Mercenaries of Fortune Event, new POIs – Storage Town, new Modes, Gameplay updates, new Weapons & adjustments, new Operator, and more! The Patch Notes are available at:https://t.co/K9Mn58Ses6 pic.twitter.com/vcM5lvWVBN — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) June 22, 2022 This mechanic will work much the same on Caldera, allowing players to gain access to upgrades faster than ever before. Portable Redeploy Balloons will also speed the game up significantly for players brave enough to take advantage of them and soar through the open skies. Just like the ones that are already around the map, this new version will allow players to zipline up into the air and reposition a fair distance across the map from wherever it’s placed. Between the addition of this instant chase-or-escape tool and the underground Mine Cart system that was added in Season 3, Caldera should play faster than ever in this new season. For more on what’s changing in Season 4, check out our full overview here.

Warzone adds new QOL setting to help players who get lots of kills – Dexerto
Warzone adds new QOL setting to help players who get lots of kills ActivisionSome Call of Duty: Warzone QOL updates benefit everyone, while others are more niche. A new kill-feed setting should do the latter, being of most use to players who routinely secure loads of kills. Ever since taking over development of Warzone, Raven Software have been pretty focused on accessibility changes. A new setting fits that mold while also seeming to support players who are constantly getting kills. Dropped into the October 18 patch, this new setting is a quality-of-life (QOL) upgrade that solely impacts players’ HUD (heads-up display). As shown by Raven on Twitter, the new setting has a simple name: Killfeed (time on screen). And it is intended to benefit players with vision, hard-of-hearing, and cognitive overload impairments. New Warzone killfeed QOL setting Hey gamers! Cherish that “Squad Wipe” notification for longer or opt to simplify the HUD by taking advantage of the Killfeed (Time On Screen) option. This #WZa11y setting supports Vision, HoH, Cognitive Overload, and “I was too busy shooting to see that” accessibility. 😊 pic.twitter.com/UIFxYIjXbA — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) October 18, 2021 The new setting isn’t groundbreaking but actually quite useful. Basically, it allows players to decide how long their killfeed updates last on the screen. This means that, if you’re hard of hearing or visually impaired, you can make sure that the killfeed notifications stay up for longer so it’s easier to be sure of what happened. That can be very helpful, as knowing whether or not a kill was a team wipe or not is often critical. But, on the other hand, this also can help players who do a lot of killing. Players care about things like FOV (field of view) sliders and Halloween’s animations because they want to see as much of the game as possible. For those who are constantly racking up eliminations in the killfeed, those notifications may take up valuable space. So, if you’re keyed in on the game’s sounds and notifications, using this setting to minimize visual clutter may be the best bet. So that’s where we’re at. If you want to confirm squad-wipe information (or relish in it for longer), you can now swap your killfeed HUD to “extended.” And, if you want to minimize distractions while looking for your next victims, you can simply turn it “off.”

Warzone adds Mobile Buy Stations: Shop details, how to get, more – Dexerto
Warzone adds Mobile Buy Stations: Shop details, how to get, more ActivisionAs part of the Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, the game now has Mobile Buy Stations that can be used anywhere. Here’s everything to know from where to find it to what’s available in the shop. Warzone Season 2 Reloaded is deploying to the battlefield on March 23, and with it, comes plenty of fresh content. From a brand-new Battle Royale experience to a full makeover of Rebirth Island, this mid-season update is packed with action. One of the biggest additions is coming in the form of a Buy Station, but this one is on-the-go. Here’s everything to know about Warzone’s Mobile Buy Station. Warzone Mobile Buy Stations explained Mobile Buy Stations will be added to Warzone with the Season 2 Reloaded patch. These are offering players another strategic method to the battle royale. Players will be able to throw out a marker to have a buy station drop right in front of them (like loadout drops). It will appear as a basket on the mini-map, so that it’s different than the default locations. Once landed, players can purchase anything they can afford. That’s right, these mobile stations will have the entire shop available. If you need to revive a teammate, get a loadout, buy a UAV you can. If it’s in the normal Buy Station, then it will be in the portable one as well. How to get Mobile Buy Station in Warzone To access a Mobile Buy Station, players can find it like they would for anything else in the game as these will spawn randomly. It’s important to note that it will replace your Field Upgrade slot. So, you will not be able to carry one of these and a Loadout Drop Marker as well. Season 2 Reloaded is certain to bring a scent of fresh air to the Warzone community, and Mobile Buy Stations can definitely change up the way games are played.

Warzone adds limited-time Fortune’s Keep playlist with higher player count – Dexerto
Warzone adds limited-time Fortune’s Keep playlist with higher player count ActivisionRaven Software revealed a new limited-time Warzone playlist that makes the fan-favorite map Fortune’s Keep even more tantalizing. Fortune’s Keep was introduced as part of the Warzone Season 4 update. Warzone fans already laud Fortune’s Keep as “better than Rebirth Island,” and the map has been reviewed extremely well by the community. Despite being praised, Fortune’s Keep does have its blemishes. Players reported glitching through walls, limited buy stations, getting frozen while going prone, and camping issues. Warzone players have been demanding an increased lobby count in Caldera, but Raven Software instead decreased the lobby count in Season 3 Reloaded. This time around, fans got their wish and a 60-player count Fortune’s Keep Playlist was announced. Raven Software introduces a new 60-player Warzone playlist The Raven Software Twitter account posted the news and said “how about we turn up the heat a little bit with a 60 player weekend exclusive playlist.” Fortune’s Keep Extreme is the name of the playlist and it is currently live and will presumably end on Monday, July 11. Player counts before the update: Solo: 47 – Duos: 46 – Trios: 45 – Quads: 40 – How about we turn up the heat a little bit with a 60 Player weekend exclusive Playlist? Fortune’s Keep Extreme is NOW LIVE! 🏰💥 pic.twitter.com/9HE7V9CPNh — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) July 8, 2022 ModernWarzone posted a poll on Twitter asking for players’ opinions on the new playlist. CoD YouTuber JGOD responded by saying, “after the first match, I will say L. I think 50 is the sweet spot with better respawn mechs, also nowhere near enough buy stations.” After 1st Match I will say L. I think 50 is the sweet spot with better respawn mechs, also nowhere near enough buy stations. — James – JGOD (@JGODYT) July 8, 2022 Time will tell whether or not this playlist is a hit or a flop but fans sure seem to be excited. Make sure to give Fortune’s Keep Extreme a try for yourself while you still can.

Warzone to add Apex Legends loot feature in Season 3 Reloaded update – Dexerto
Warzone to add Apex Legends loot feature in Season 3 Reloaded update Activision / RespawnCall of Duty: Warzone is getting a feature Apex Legends players will be very familiar with, as high loot zones are coming to Caldera in the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update. The announcement was made on May 23, via the release of Activision’s early patch notes blog for Warzone Season 3 Reloaded. The news comes on the back of Operation Monarch, where King Kong and Godzilla arrived in the popular mode. As expected, the opportunity of collecting those high-tier rewards is matched with risk, as these high loot zones are likely to become hot drops on Caldera. In Apex Legends, the better loot areas are labeled on the map as players first drop in, with Legendary and Epic items/weapons appearing at those places. Warzone high tier loot locations coming to Caldera In an official blog post, Raven Software explained how the feature will work in the battle royale mode. “First introduced during Operation Monarch, High Value Loot Zones will now appear in standard Battle Royale games as high-risk, high-reward places to drop or travel to,” they said in the early patch notes. How to find Warzone high tier loot areas If you’re looking to come across high tier loot right off the bat in Warzone, you’re going to need to know where these zones are. In the blog, Raven explained: “Check your Tac Map or minimap to see where these areas are and decide whether to set a course for fortune and frequent fighting.” The idea is to spread out where players are deciding to drop, which could avoid a high concentration at just the new POIs for Season 3 Reloaded. Raven continued: “We know Peak will be Peak and every new point of interest will draw attention, but with this system, there are more options for a squad to build their Loadout by scavenging for items. Just like any high-traffic point of interest, the whole squad should be ready to battle other teams looking to collect more rare items than in a normal area.” So, be warned – if you’re looking to get a big reward early on in Warzone, expect a big risk.

Warzone accused of “whitelisting” streamers after data reveals easier lobbies – Dexerto
Warzone accused of “whitelisting” streamers after data reveals easier lobbies ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are knee-deep in conspiracies and rage after recent fan investigations revealed data suggesting that streamers get easier lobbies than normal players. Now, “whitelisting” is the topic du jour. As we know better than most, if you post a clip of a Warzone streamer pulling off a highlight play — the majority of responses will be about them being in a “bot lobby.” It’s become a running theme among vocal fans, who seem convinced Warzone’s best somehow always get lobbies against Warzone’s worst. So this was bound to happen. Somewhere in the intersection between CoD players and data analysts, a Redditor decided to analyze their lobby data and compare it to the stats for big-name streamers. And the results of that study are fairly shocking. After Reddit’s ‘Quaisy’ revealed their findings, both posts have been deleted, but not after thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments — most noting the proof that streamers get “whitelisted” and gifted easier lobbies. Warzone streamers “whitelisted” for easier lobbies? After their Reddit post got deleted, Quaisy took to YouTube to dive into their data. The player, after running into some problematic lobbies, decided to compare their previous 64 matches to that of pros and content creators like Aydan and Tfue. Perhaps unsurprising to some, the data is… interesting. Quaisy has an above-average 1.75 K/D (kill-death ratio), which is negligible compared to the 4-plus K/Ds enjoyed by the professionals. Still, the only big streamer who had harder lobbies on average was ScummN. On the contrary, streamers like Tfue had relatively easy lobbies. While only about 4.7% of Quaisy’s games had an average lobby K/D under 1.1, Tfue got lobbies underneath that range in a whopping 65.6% of his matches. And that’s despite his K/D being a nasty 4.33. That second kill 😳 @TTfue proving why the Milano is Warzone’s newest AR pic.twitter.com/vnbwDI1l6b — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) June 27, 2021 Of course, the data only takes into account 64 matches so it has to be taken at face value. CoD’s developers are very private about how SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) works in their titles, so it’s impossible to know exactly how lobby strength is determined. But Quaisy’s research brings up some interesting discussion points and the community is centering on one conclusion: that streamers are “whitelisted” and given easier lobbies so that they can make better content. If that’s the case, a lot of people’s conspiracy theories have been justified. If it’s not the case, Activision may need to step in and tell people how SBMM really works.
