Warzone 2 players are selling ‘carries’ to unlock M13B in DMZ ActivisionWarzone 2 players are selling their services to help fellow Call of Duty fans unlock the powerful M13B from DMZ as many are still struggling to get a hold of it. When Warzone 2 was finally announced to the world, Call of Duty fans’ eyes collectively lit up across the globe as the developers revealed a new mode would be a part of it – DMZ. Check out the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Amazon DMZ, if you haven’t played it yet, is essentially a lite version of Escape from Tarkov. You select a limited loadout, drop in, try and complete objectives, and exfil before time expires. It’s proven to be a popular mode in its early lifespan, especially as it brings about a Call of Duty first. The M13B is the first gun in Call of Duty history to be locked behind a boss fight. You have to kill an NPC known as ‘The Chemist’ and pick the gun up from their body. If you escape with the weapon, you unlock it to use in other modes like Warzone. Warzone 2 players are selling M13B drops on eBay While some players have found tricks on how to deal with the powerful NPC in a quick fashion, some are still struggling. That is where a few generous DMZ players could step in, for a price anyway. As Eurogamer pointed out, there are some Call of Duty fans that are selling their services across social media, promising to help others get their hand on the M13B. On eBay at least, this could cost players around £2-£5/$3-$6, as they offer the chance to team up with you in DMZ and help you unlock the weapon. They’ll even kill ‘The Chemist’ for you, and allow the buyer to exfil with the gun in their possession, which then unlocks it for them. Paying for a service like that, or selling it on the other hand, isn’t exactly against the rules. It’s more in a grey area than anything else. There is, of course, the potential for scammers to run wild, which would then be bannable, so we’ll have to wait and see if Activision clamps down on it before things reach that point. Warzone 2 players are over the moon with FOV slider change – Dexerto
Warzone 2 players are over the moon with FOV slider change ActivisionWarzone 2 adds a long-awaited FOV slider to the battle royale, leaving console players rejoiced as their prayers were finally answered. A FOV slider allows players to adjust their field of view to be more zoomed in or out. A wider FOV allows players to see enemies they have missed otherwise. Only PC players had access to the feature in the original Warzone, driving console players crazy. Warzone players blasted Activision for not adding the feature to consoles, and the developers responded, “FOV slider benefits highly skilled players mainly.” At some point, the developers had a change of heart because console players finally can change their field of view in Warzone 2. In the Season 1 patch notes, Activision announced that console players could adjust their field of view to 120 degrees. Warzone 2 players finally get a FOV slider on console A Reddit user shared an image of themselves turning the FOV slider all the way up to 120 on console. In the original Warzone, console players had their field of view locked to 80. One player responded, “Well, looks like our prayers have been answered.” A second user added, “I guarantee most players are gonna max out the FOV without realizing that it has downsides.” Increasing the FOV value to 120 does have its downsides. Having a field of view maxed out allows you to see more of your surrounding environment, but being too zoomed out may make important details harder to see. Finding the right balance is essential. If you are struggling to find the optimal settings, make sure to check out our guide on the best Warzone 2 console settings.

Warzone 2 players are calling out the “busted” in-game water combat mechanics – Dexerto
Warzone 2 players are calling out the “busted” in-game water combat mechanics ActivisionWarzone 2 players are calling out the game’s “busted” water combat system, which has been a major point of criticism since the game’s release. When the sequel to Call of Duty’s Warzone came out, there were many expansions and additions to the game. One of those is an entirely new mechanic on water combat and movement which once weren’t available to the player. However, the mechanics have not been going over well for players. Although water combat is rare, it is not unavoidable, and players who find themselves in the midst of a gunfight in water have been vocal about the problems. In a Reddit thread on the Warzone 2 forum, a player listed out the problems which they faced when having to fight underwater. For one, they criticized the lack of indicators for when an enemy is with them. Pointing out enemies makes no sound, nor are they very visible underwater. Warzone has a history of its audio indicators of enemies not being very good, so by extension water combat also has the same problems. Warzone 2 players frustrated at unbalanced water mechanics Additionally, they point out the hilarity of your operator being strong enough to melee underwater, but not use a gun. Which is partially true, as you can use a handgun underwater but not rifles. You can actually fire modern rifles underwater in real life, a commentor pointed out. This is not the only problem players are facing when it comes to water combat in Warzone. We wrote about another player also facing problem with it, this time finding problems with not being able hit a enemy properly. In addition, due to the poor indications of players being underwater, it can be very surprising to find yourself in the middle of a surprise attack by a enemy. So next time you’re making your way around Ashika Island, try to steer clear of the waters.

Warzone 2 players angered as “terrible” servers rob them of SR and ruin Ranked play – Dexerto
Warzone 2 players angered as “terrible” servers rob them of SR and ruin Ranked play ActivisionWarzone 2 players have become frustrated with server issues that are causing many of them to be kicked out of Ranked Play matches only to receive a suspension and SR penalty. With the arrival of Season 3 Reloaded, Ranked Play was introduced to Warzone 2. This new playlist gives Warzone players a competitive mode to test their skills against other evenly matched players. The reception to Ranked Play has been generally positive, with players happy to be given a grindable Warzone experience where they can improve. However, not everything has been perfect and a series of server issues has upset some Warzone 2 players believing they have been unfairly penalized. Server issues are timing out and penalizing Warzone 2 players Frustrated by the server issues, one player voice their complaint on Reddit, sparking a lot of responses from fellow players too. The post from May 22 reads: “Getting sick of being penalized for Activision’s terrible servers, and game crashes.” The original poster later responded to their own thread: “Update: just happened again tonight. I uninstalled the game.” Another post also appeared on May 22, highlighting the same issue, titled: “Lobby timed out and I received a -10 SR penalty and 15-minute suspension.” Both threads were accompanied by a caption of an in-game message informing them that they had been given a suspension from Ranked Play and an SR penalty for abandoning their previous match. It wasn’t just the original posters that were frustrated as numerous replies agreed that the servers are a problem. One responded: “My buddy lost 300 hard earned SR in one glitch the other day. Clown game.” Some other replies were less sympathetic: “I feel worse for your teammates who have to deal with your sh*tty ass capabilities to run a game properly.” Notably, not everyone experienced the same penalties after disconnecting: “Weird. I’ve had probably 3 or 4 games/lobbies timeout since Ranked was released but none of us ever got a penalty. The only time I’ve got one was when I have a proper crash, which luckily only happened once.” Complaints about the servers have been a thing since Warzone 2 launched. On April 20, Activision addressed these complaints by stating that it is working toward improving the situation.

Warzone 2 player takes proximity chat trolling to another level by making consoles turn off – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player takes proximity chat trolling to another level by making consoles turn off ActivisionWarzone 2 introduced proximity chat, and one player cleverly used the new feature to eliminate an enemy without ever firing their weapon. Proximity chat has been nothing short of a mixed bag in Warzone 2. The new feature allows teams to communicate with enemies. The community has universally embraced proximity chat with open arms, but its results vary. Some players utilized the new tool to roleplay and create wholesome moments, while others encountered toxic trash-talking. Dr Disrespect claimed he was temporarily banned from Warzone 2 because of alleged proximity chat toxicity, and Activision promised to crack down on toxicity with a new in-game reporting system. On a much lighter note, a WZ2 player trolled an opponent by using proximity chat against them. Warzone 2 player uses proximity chat to their advantage Warzone 2 streamer and content creator Pork posted a clip of himself entering a building and saying, “Xbox turn off” over proximity chat. Xbox has a voice command feature that turns off the system if you tell it to turn off. And the battle royale sequel supports cross-play, so the streamer was able to take advantage of an Xbox user while playing on a different console. We will never know for sure if it worked, but a player left immediately after the streamer used the voice command. Some players questioned if the hilarious maneuver was legit, but one user responded, “if someone is playing the game through some speakers or have their TV on a high-ish volume-the console would probably pick it up.” A second person added, “This might be one of the best clips I have seen in warzone.” Community members gave the streamer a lot of credit for his creativity, as a third player chimed in, “this deserves to go viral, banger video.” We are sure to see more hijinks as players discover fun and creative ways to use proximity chat.

Warzone 2 player slams “horrible” nerf to underrated SMG – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player slams “horrible” nerf to underrated SMG ActivisionWarzone 2 players are discussing the unfair nerf to underrated weapons that could have challenged the meta in Season 2. Warzone 2 Season 2 began on February 15, and with it came new content and weapon balancing across the board. Some of the balance changes have made players question the developer’s choices, as many weaker weapons were nerfed, and the meta weapons have not changed. Specifically, fans went to Reddit to figure out why the changes affected some guns that could have challenged the standard RPK and Fennec meta. Warzone 2 players question weapon balance changes In a Reddit post uploaded on February 17, the user asked the community about their thoughts on the weapon balancing changes that came in Season 2. The specific weapon in question is the Minibak, commonly known as the PP-Bizon/PP-19. The user commented: “Absolutely no noticeable changes to Fennec and RPK but the Minibak out here catching the biggest L. I loved this gun but now I’d rather use pistols than this peashooter. FYI I’ve grinded the weapon mastery charm for the gun so I know how it should feel, and rn it’s horrible.” Although the RPK and Fennec did receive changes in the combined Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 update, the consensus among players is that they are still the dominant choices over any other weapon. Another user added their thoughts, saying: “They nerfed it in Season 1 too. This game might have the worst weapon balancing of any recent CoD. Most SMGs are useless, most ARs are useless. Marksman category isn’t even viable and only one realistically valid sniper (signal 50) which they nerfed too.” While frustrating, there is always the chance developers will hear feedback, and make different changes in future patches and updates.

Warzone 2 player secures world’s first melee-only solo Nuke – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player secures world’s first melee-only solo Nuke ActivisionWarzone 2 content creator and streamer ConnerDose managed the impressive feat of getting a nuke in the battle royale’s solo mode – while using only melee weapons like the riot shield. Getting a chance at a nuke in Warzone 2 requires commitment, nerves of steel, and a mastery of the game. The process requires players to win five matches in a row, and complete a special quest in the sixth match. Not only that, when all is said and done, and the nuclear device starts ticking down, you become a target for the entire lobby who will try to disarm it to survive. Ever since this feature was unearthed, many players and content creators have undertaken a variety of challenges that earn them bragging rights when pulled off. One of these impressive feats was firing the nuke without firing a single bullet. A couple of streamers pulled off this feat in trios of the Battle Royale using only throwing knives, riot shields, etc. Warzone 2 streamer launches a solo nuke while using only melee YouTuber ConnerDose has now done the same thing as the legendary trio, only this time in the Solo mode of Warzone 2, meaning that he had no backup, buybacks, and other things that make it slightly easier to pull off with friends. On January 11, the streamer uploaded a video that recaps his journey to this impressive achievement, ending with the explosion and his pop-off reaction. ConnerDose stated that this is the very first time that anyone among the Warzone 2 player base has managed to launch a nuke without firing a single bullet while also playing solo. This win for the content creator comes right on the cusp of Season 2 coming to Warzone 2. And whether this, and similar challenges become harder, easier, or stay this difficult is for us to find out when the full patch notes drop in the future.

Warzone 2 player receives a full year of Double XP, but there’s a big catch – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player receives a full year of Double XP, but there’s a big catch ActivisionOne Warzone 2 player was absolutely shocked to find they had a full year’s worth of Double XP to redeem on their account, but it turns out there’s a huge catch. When it comes to progressing in Warzone 2, XP is obviously vital. It’s how you unlock new weapons, equipment, and Prestige Tiers just by playing the game. Naturally, the more experience you rack up throughout a session, the better, hence why Double XP codes are so important. Double XP is littered throughout the Battle Pass and a range of real-world promotions also provide that extra boost, be it through Burger King or Mountain Dew. However, there’s typically a limit to these valuable boosts. For the most part, one hour of 2x XP gains is as good as it gets, with other intervals set to 45 minutes, 30 minutes, and 15 minutes a piece. Though one lucky player was shocked to see a ‘1 Year’ Double XP Token sitting in their rewards tab. Reddit user ‘CranberryCarney’ was confused as to how they’d even acquired this rare, golden Token in Warzone 2. Not that there’s any way of tracking Double XP Token progress in-game or in the menu, meaning it’s guesswork as to how long you have left on any given boost, the player claimed the year-long 2XP reward “worked” and that it wasn’t a visual bug. “It works. Just popped it, very confused,” they said. “Take this post down before they take it away from you,” another player responded soon after. As others soon pointed out in the replied, this one-year reward wasn’t a mistake. It turns out, it’s just an extremely rare goodie attached to a promotion with both Mountain Dew and Doritos in the United States. While typically, a purchase of either item provided just one hour of Double XP, each redemption put players in the running to win something bigger. Just 13 one-year Double XP Tokens were ever created, and this Reddit user was fortunate enough to secure one for themselves. However, there is quite a significant catch outlined in the fine print. On the surface, one would think this “1 Year” Double XP reward would provide a full year of Double XP in Call of Duty. That’s not quite the case though, as this reward simply provides “1 hour of 2XP each day for one year.” Therefore, this player and the 12 other winners aren’t actually enjoying endless 2XP for the next 365 days. It’s capped at one bonus hour per day, limiting how much they can progress ahead of the pack.

Warzone 2 player outplays bounty hunter by driving into the ocean – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player outplays bounty hunter by driving into the ocean Activision BlizzardA Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player escaped a bounty hunter by driving a truck underwater and surviving long enough to return to land. Infinity Ward reintroduced swimming mechanics to Call of Duty in the recently released Modern Warfare 2. Ahead of the title’s launch, the developer assured players the feature would appear in Warzone 2.0, as well. Thus far, swimming and underwater exploration has proven quite the game changer for the newest iteration of Warzone. Content creators like Ninja and CouRage have discovered hidden loot in the waters of Al Mazrah, for example. It seems Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s underwater locales aren’t just good for hiding valuable loot, however. Driving underwater is one way to avoid Warzone 2 bounty hunters With a bounty hunter dogging their heels to complete an assigned contract, Reddit user Guilty_ Possibility47 had few options at their disposal during a recent Warzone 2 match. The player’s options were especially slim while in the driver’s seat of a large truck. As such, the Redditor took the only course of action they could think of – driving into a nearby body of water. Instead of sinking to their death in a watery grave, Guilty_Possibility47 actually escaped the ordeal unscathed. They even lost the bounty hunter. Surprised by their survival, the player shared the win on Reddit, letting others know that driving underwater without dying is possible in Warzone 2. The post raised a lot of questions, of course. Some want to know if the player characters can breathe underwater indefinitely. Another person simply wanted to know why the “ocean floor [looks] so detailed.” But the real lesson to focus on here is that surviving Warzone 2 bounties doesn’t always require hard-hitting tactics. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is playable now across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Warzone 2 player manages to turn a helicopter into a submarine – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player manages to turn a helicopter into a submarine Activision BlizzardA Warzone 2 player tested the limits of the light helo, transforming it into a submarine. Warzone 2’s implementation of water received mixed reviews. Players have taken advantage of the feature to camp underwater and pop up to steal easy kills. Community members have also blasted final circles for forcing them into water combat. Players were already concerned about water being overpowered, and their fears may soon become worse. A WZ2 user unearthed a way to use helicopters underwater. Warzone 2 player discovers new way to use helicopter A Warzone 2 player flew a helicopter straight into the water and, instead of blowing up, discovered the light helo can fly underwater. The user floated the helicopter on top of the water to accomplish the feat and jumped out. As the chopper began submerging, they jumped back in and flew underwater before coming back to the surface. “So apparently, this game has a submarine with blades.” One player responded, “Imagine a water final circle, and someone flies out of the water! I’d lose my sh**.” A second user added, “It looks like the helo was taking minimal damage the entire time it was underwater, look at the damage at the start of the clip compared to the end.” Despite having dangerous implications, the clip received praise as a third commenter said, “that’s pretty dope.” Thankfully players won’t be able to abuse the glitch if helicopters do take damage. However, don’t be surprised if you end up losing your next match to someone using this method.

Warzone 2 player gets free win after a bug locked them in the Gulag – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player gets free win after a bug locked them in the Gulag ActivisionA Warzone 2 player was gifted a free battle royale win after a strange glitch locked them in the Gulag for 15 minutes. Warzone 2‘s Gulag is a place where players duke it out after getting killed for a chance at another shot in the battle royale. Overall, it’s meant to be a positive addition to the game that helps players get back to the action faster. Unfortunately, sometimes trips to the Gulag don’t always go as some players plan. While fairly rare, sometimes players sent to the Gulag can experience some fairly disruptive glitches that can make or break a round of Warzone. One player recently encountered a strange Gulag glitch that, at first glance, seemed to just waste their time — but it actually ended up netting them a win in the battle royale match. Warzone 2 player wins in the Gulag A post on the CODWarzone subreddit showed off this strange glitch, when one player posted a video with the caption, “I, uhhhh, just won a game after being in the gulag for 15 mins.” The brief, 15-second video shows the player likely trying to hop out of bounds after being stuck in the tiny map with no opponents to face, until they are given 186 XP and met with the “Victory” screen. According to fans players on the subreddit, this isn’t an isolated experience. Though the glitch seems fairly rare, one player claimed they’d, “seen this once or twice before in WZ 1. Still weird to see.” Others wondered what made the OP simply run around for 15 minutes instead of leaving the match after they realized what had happened. “I would have left. I’d rather play then run around in there for 15 minutes straight,” said on commenter. Some on the other hand praised their dedication to see how far the glitch would go. “You stayed in there for 15 minutes! You deserve the W,” said one fan while another noted, “Your patience paid off.” Based on many of the replies, it’s likely there’s no definitive way to recreate this glitch and that it may just come down to pure chance. While the OP certainly got lucky with this bug, their opponents match undoubtedly ended with a lot of confusion.

Warzone 2 player gets a free victory after last opponent gets livebanned – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player gets a free victory after last opponent gets livebanned ActivisionWarzone 2’s cheating problem has only got worse as Season 1 draws to a close. One player was facing off with a hacker in the final fight of the game and a timely liveban saved the day. The Warzone 2 cheater influx is rivaling the peak of the original game. Whole lobbies are being disconnected from the server, ‘lagswitches’ are ruining easy gunfights, and the traditional auto-aim & wallhack combos never went completely away in the first place. It’s a problem that Activision will inevitably have to intervene on to get things back under control eventually, but for now, it’s good to know that the anti-cheat is still catching some of the offenders before they can celebrate their unearned victories. Warzone 2 cheater gets livebanned seconds before winning a match TikToker DyceTV was in an intense situation. The final circle was approaching and it was a 1v1 to win it all. He surveyed the surrounding area but had no luck finding the other player until a hail of bullets rained down on him and he ducked to plate up. It didn’t take long for him to suspect the other player wasn’t playing fair, as a quick peak resulted in busted armor once again. “You don’t miss…this kid’s cheating.” Though Dyce landed some great shots in their eventual gunfight, it wasn’t enough to get the knock. The cheater took him down and the only thing left to do was finish the kill. However, they weren’t quite fast enough and the Ricochet anti-cheat system intervened right on time. The cheater was booted out of the lobby, and Dyce was awarded the win. It might not be fair compensation for all the other operators who died to the hacker, but at least the hand of justice redeemed the situation a little bit. As the cheating threat level keeps rising in Warzone 2, players are looking at the Season 2 update and hoping it brings some more relief.

Warzone 2 player falsely accused of cheating for using live ping feature – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player falsely accused of cheating for using live ping feature ActivisionA Warzone 2 streamer accused a player of cheating, but little did they know the live ping feature was the actual cause of their demise. Cheating in Warzone is a tale as old as time, but Activision has gone on the offensive recently. The Notorious Call of Duty cheat seller EngineOwning must pay Activision $3 million in damages after “high profile” streamers used Warzone cheats. The developers also upped their game in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, introducing innovations to its Ricochet anti-cheat. Activision promised more protection for players and better detection capabilities to reduce the game’s hacking problems. MW2 introduced a new reporting system, so players can take matters into their own hands when dealing with hackers and toxic users. However, the system hasn’t come without its flaws, as community members slammed the feature for incorrectly banning players. Warzone 2 streamer accuses player of cheating Giving players the ability to report others for cheating is a double-edged sword. Sometimes in the heat of a moment, when frustrations boil over, a player may accuse someone of cheating when in reality, it was just a good play. It doesn’t help when players see two different things from their perspectives. A WZ2 player begged the developers to make kill cams show if you have been spotted. “I Just got mass reported because I killed some twitch streamer through a smoke after spotting him, and he thought I was cheating.” The accused player used a smoke grenade to mask their location as they got their loadout. The streamer parachutes in to get an easy kill. However, the other player used a live ping, marking an enemy through the smoke, and took out the streamer. The streamer incorrectly reported the other player for cheating, and community members slammed him for it. “The streamer should just accept the death or at least spectate before spamming reports.” Other players agreed, with a second adding, “it literally says enemy marked on the kill cam.” Take this example as a lesson to double-check before accusing someone of cheating.

Warzone 2 player discovers game-breaking interrogation bug – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player discovers game-breaking interrogation bug ActivisionWarzone 2 players have unearthed a game-breaking bug, abusing the battle royale’s interrogation system. Interrogation is an underrated new system in Warzone 2, used for revealing an enemy team’s location. Players can press a button when they down an opponent and start the interrogation process. The interrogation animation will make your character hold a knife down the player’s throat and scan the location of the other members on a cell phone. When the process is complete, a live ping will reveal the location of the remaining enemy team members. The system works very similarly to Caveira’s ability in Rainbow Six Siege. Community members have yet to take advantage of interrogating fully, but it has the potential to be crucial in WZ2. Interrogating an enemy is already stressful enough, as their teammates can take you out, but a potential glitch makes the maneuver even more dangerous. Warzone 2 players uncover interrogation glitch A Warzone 2 player shared a video on Reddit of the interrogation bug. One player theorized that completing a Most Wanted contract revived the teammate. ” I saw another similar video yesterday of a guy near instant self-reviving in WZ, but it looked like his team had a most wanted contract that got completed, and it picked him up.” A second user added, “just when I think no way even this is broken in the game.” Not all community members were on the same page over the glitch’s validity. “He started the self-revive animation, which does not lose progression when stopped in any way after you finish the interrogation. That’s not a bug, that’s intentional.” Activision adds all known glitches to Warzone 2’s Trello Board. Whether this is a bug or not, make sure to keep an eye out for an opponent’s self revive while completing an interrogation.

Warzone 2 player demands fix for “infuriating” airstrike bug after self elimination – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player demands fix for “infuriating” airstrike bug after self elimination ActivisionA player in Warzone 2 encountered a bug where, instead of placing an airstrike hundreds of meters away, the game puts it on top of the player eliminating them in the process. There is a myriad of things players have to pay attention to while in a battle-royale match. Gunfire, footsteps, vehicular noises, and more can come from any direction at any moment. Anticipating other players’ movements, listening for sound cues, or reading the mini-map are just a few things players have to keep an eye on. Unfortunately, not everything can be predicted, especially when a bug disrupts the normal flow of the game. A new bug has appeared in Warzone 2 where calling in an airstrike will place it on top of yourself, leaving little to no time to get out of the way. Warzone 2 bug causes airstrike placement on one who uses it Fans of Warzone 2 discussed a new bug posted on Reddit, showing a player call in an airstrike on an enemy team, for it to only hit themself due to a bug. In the video, it shows the player on top of a hill and watching a team move below them. They pull out their airstrike, aim it below the hill, and confirm its placement. Not realizing it, the airstrike has now been placed on themself as they continue to track the enemy team. A small indicator at the top of the screen shows the airstrike is now on top of the player, but when you’re focused on a three-man team down low and thinking you’re about to take them all out? It’s reasonable for tunnel vision to take over and not realize what’s about to happen. Many users commented on both the bug and the awareness one needs to have, as hindsight knows all. One user said: “This happened to me as well inside a building. Imagine being killed inside a building by your airstrike when you called it in hundreds of meters away.” These sorts of things can throw off the groove of the player immensely. Feeling confident in your moves and seeing the progress of doing things correctly, only for a random bug to ruin it, can put a damper on one’s mood. Unfortunately, players must be constantly looking for something similar to this that could cost them the game. As frustrating as it is, players must be cautious until a fix is implemented.

Warzone 2 player count plummets despite Ranked being added – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player count plummets despite Ranked being added ActivisionThe player count for Warzone 2 has dropped off a cliff a fair bit in recent weeks, showing that the addition of Ranked Play hasn’t quite addressed things. When Warzone 2 was first revealed as a part of Modern Warfare 2, plenty of Call of Duty players were full of hype for the new battle royale title – even if there was a bit of skepticism about some of the changes. Upon launching, the battle royale quickly flew to the top of the charts alongside MW2. However, over the last few months, things have fallen off a bit. Players have complained about the overall state of the game – even though cheating isn’t as prevalent as in the original Warzone – and demanded a fair few changes from the devs. One of the big requests centered around Ranked Play. As a part of Season 3, that was finally introduced, and it has brought some big-name players back to the game. However, as a whole, the player count has dropped significantly. Warzone 2 player count plummets amid WSOW qualifiers As per new stats from SteamCharts, over the last month, Warzone 2 has seen a drop off of over 15,500 players on Steam and now averages around 65,000 players. That’s even ticked down to 60,000 recently too. The peak of the last 30 days has been just a tick over 104,000 players, which is a drastic difference compared to the previous months. When the game first launched, it had a peak of over 488,000, before dropping off to 308,000. It also dropped off in the new year but maintained a peak of 150,000 players until April, when it finally dipped under that number. In terms of average players, Warzone 2 has also dropped from around 100,000 to the aforementioned 65,000. Obviously, these figures only account for Steam and not every other platform, but they are typically indicative of the bigger picture given Steam’s grip on PC gaming. It’s also interesting to note that a lot of these players are turning their back on Warzone 2 despite the World Series of Warzone Qualifiers also taking place. Seems they haven’t got eyes for the $1.2 million prize pot.

Warzone 2 player count per match: How many players can play Battle Royale? – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player count per match: How many players can play Battle Royale? ActivisionWondering how many people are in a Warzone 2 battle royale and DMZ lobby? Then our handy explainer has all the information you need. Warzone 2 is the latest game to receive a lot of attention from both Call of Duty and battle royale fans. Unlike its predecessor, Warzone 2 features plenty of new content that helps distinguish itself from the original. One of the major changes is the addition of the new Al Mazrah map, a huge metropolitan environment that features rural POIs. Due to the sheer size of the map, many Warzone 2 players will be curious to know how many players are featured in both the regular battle royale and the new DMZ mode. Well, our handy guide has everything you need to know about the Warzone 2 lobby player count. Warzone 2 battle royale lobby size A maximum of 150 players can be in a single Warzone 2 lobby. Of course, this doesn’t include the AI-controlled enemies that appear in the game’s Strongholds and Black Sites. This number is the same as the original Warzone battle royale, which means you’ll still encounter plenty of squads during your time trekking through Al Mazrah. Warzone 2 DMZ lobby size Activision has yet to reveal the official lobby size for the Warzone 2 DMZ mode. However, given that the developers are sticking to the original 150-player lobbies seen in the original Warzone, it’s safe to assume DMZ will follow a similar pattern. According to the official Call of Duty blog, “DMZ is an open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode where Operator squads have free rein to complete faction-based missions, take on additional side objectives, engage with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and search for valuable items, all while fighting to survive toward exfiltration.” It’s likely DMZ will feature more AI than the regular battle royale mode, but we’ll have to see when Warzone 2 launches later this week. In the meantime, be sure to check out our Call of Duty page for all the latest news and guides.

Warzone 2 player count allegedly dropped faster “than expected” as frustrations mount – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player count allegedly dropped faster “than expected” as frustrations mount ActivisionIt is reported that Warzone 2’s player count has dropped at an even faster rate than expected since it launched in November 2022, a concern for devs and Activision as players’ frustrations with the game continue to grow. Warzone 2 arrived in mid-November with some massive changes from the original Warzone title that took over the world. The popular movement system had been slowed down, some of the quality-of-life changes introduced over the years had been removed, and the looting system was a big shock to the system for many. Since then, updates have been few and far between: the meta has remained the same, and a number of annoying bugs have persisted without fixes. This has resulted in a drop-off in players too, apparently. While Steam charts have shown a fairly significant dip, this may extend further to all platforms too, and it’s happening faster than expected according to CharlieIntel. “We’ve heard from multiple people that Warzone 2’s player count dropped over the break at a higher rate than expected,” they said. “Unclear what it all means for what will change at this point.” Season 2 of Warzone 2 is due to start on February 1, but up to this point, there has not been much speculation over what kind of changes the devs might want to make to the game to improve both gameplay and player retention. Many creators have said that Warzone 2 is just one or two updates away from being a very good game, including the likes of Dr Disrespect, so we may see some big changes implemented for the next season to help appease those who loved Warzone 1.

Warzone 2 player channels Assassin’s Creed skills for incredible stealth takedowns – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player channels Assassin’s Creed skills for incredible stealth takedowns ActivisionA Warzone 2 TikToker has turned the game’s third-person mode into a full-fledged Assassin’s Creed experience. Warzone 2 has proven to be an excellent sandbox experience for the game’s most creative players, and TikToker carnivul has turned the game into a different experience entirely. Leaning on the teachings of stealth-based franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell, he’s confounding enemies, making beautiful getaways, using the first kill to set up the next, and it all plays out like visceral visual poetry. In a clip that’s now gone viral, he put on a masterclass for everyone else to sit back and learn from. Warzone 2 TikToker turns Al-Mazrah into an Assassin’s Creed-style parkour playground What makes carnivul stand out from the other melee-only creators (like TheGhostofCaldera, who revolutionized the artform over on TikTok), is the use of third-person. This outside-the-box playlist lends a lot to making each kill truly feel like something out of another franchise entirely. While the animations are distinctly Call of Duty, it’s infused with the spirit of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Sam Fisher, and maybe even a little bit of Batman. It’s flashy but refined, calculated but still risky, and entirely mesmerizing to watch. Even a warning from one target to another wasn’t enough to save them from carnivul’s slick movement. After dropping the first guy, he hit a quick reposition to a place with a better view and simply let the trap develop on its own. “He just came up behind me and did the same thing. I don’t know where’s hiding,” the last player lamented as his body dropped. It takes a lot of courage to even go for an execution in Warzone 2 but to line up two of them and execute it perfectly? That’s a scary sight to behold even for veterans of the battle royale experience.

Warzone 2 player baffled after diving through window and teleporting across map – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player baffled after diving through window and teleporting across map ActivisionA Warzone 2 player was left mindblown after attempting to dive through a window in Al Mazrah, and being instantly teleported halfway across the map. Warzone 2 has not been without its bugs and glitches since it launched in November 2022, so much so that players are reportedly leaving the game at a “higher rate than expected.” With Season 2 not due to start until February 1 according to the Battle Pass timer, there may still be some time until these issues get fixed — and it seems there are increasingly more problems to add to the list as the new season gets closer. As shown in the clip below, Warzone 2 player LilUziSeph is simply traversing across the map, when they commit to one dolphin dive too many. After attempting to dive through a window of a building, rather than landing on the floor of the little hut, Seph found themself glitched miles across the map, transporting from Sariff Bay all the way to Al Sahman cemetery and far away from his teammates. This will have been especially infuriating for Seph and the team as they were pushing their bounty, possibly leaving their squad in a 3v4 situation and taking even longer to reach them. It’s unclear what exactly causes this bug to happen, but no doubt it’ll be something the developers want to get a grasp of as soon as possible so it doesn’t become a more frequent issue across Al Mazrah.

Warzone 2 player aims to disrupt the meta with underrated LMG – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player aims to disrupt the meta with underrated LMG ActivisionA YouTuber has found a new underrated LMG build in Warzone 2 that could dethrone the RPK as the new go-to meta weapon. Since the release of Warzone 2, many players have tested and tweaked many gun builds in order to find the best possible one. The most popular overall setup, or meta, can frequently change, which results in most of the player base using the same weapons and tactics to try and win. The process can create a stale experience as there is very little diversity if everyone uses the same thing. In Warzone 2, the meta is heavily focused on the Fennec for close range and the RPK for long ranges – but that could change with this new gun build. Warzone 2 LMG could dethrone the RPK meta In a new Youtube video posted by the content creator Metaphor, the player suggested a potential new weapon to disrupt the current meta. The weapon in question is the RAPP H with the build specs as follows: Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40 Ammo: 7.62 High Velocity Rear grip: Lachman TCG-10 Optic: Cronen Mini Pro Throughout the video, Metaphor showcased how effective the build is, constantly moving between open fields and close quarters, dealing with enemies at all ranges. The recoil stayed within its cone of fire, and a large amount of ammo offered the player plenty of time to keep the pressure on. Being paired with any SMG for closer encounters is the safest bet, as the LMG can easily handle farther distances. This might become the adversary the RPK needs if enough players test it themselves with their own tweaks. More options for builds can also be found here, with various styles the player can choose from.

Warzone 2 pistol is so “overpowered” it actually dominates meta weapons – Dexerto
Warzone 2 pistol is so “overpowered” it actually dominates meta weapons ActivisionWarzone 2 guru ItsMetaphor has uncovered a pistol that is a bit “overpowered” and “broken”, and it even beats some of the meta SMGs in gunfights. Pistols have had some pretty limited shine across Warzone and Warzone 2, with players typically opting to use Overkill as a perk in their classes so they can run another primary weapon. The only times pistols have really had any say on the meta have been when they’re so overpowered that players can’t help but use them. The akimbo Snakeshot and Top Break pistols will go down in infamy for their reigns of terror over Verdansk and Caldera. Though, they might just get matched in Warzone 2 by the X13 Auto pistol, as Call of Duty guru ItsMetaphor has found that it can be rather deadly in gunfights, and even matches some of the best guns in the game for TTK. Best X13 Auto pistol loadout in Warzone 2 That’s right, the YouTuber highlighted the automatic pistol in his April 25 video, noting that using it started life as a challenge from a viewer but it quickly got out of hand. Metaphor managed to pick up a win while using it, noting that the “overpowered” automatic pistol was “out TTK’ing” some of the best meta weapons in Warzone. That includes one gunfight against an MP5 – or the Lachmann Sub, if you will – that prompted the fallen player to turn on his stream after the fact. That player themselves thought the gun was “broken” and, as Metaphor points out, is perfect to use if you want a class without Overkill. Barrel: Impact Point – Muzzle: FT Steel Fire – Underbarrel: XTEN Nexus Grip – Magazine: 32-round mag – Rear Grip: Cronen Lima-6 – As per WZRanked stats, the X13 has crept up to 25th in the most-used weapon charts, but still has a pick rate that’s below 1%. Given the issues pistols have had with cracking the meta, it remains to be seen if it’ll go anywhere further. Though, it’s clearly got something about it.

Warzone 2 one-shot snipers secretly nerfed after dominating meta – Dexerto
Warzone 2 one-shot snipers secretly nerfed after dominating meta ActivisionWarzone 2 players finally got their wishes fulfilled of one-shot sniping returning, but the dream only lasted one week. Warzone 2’s meta received a much-needed shakeup in the Season 2 update. The RPK, Fennec, akimbo pistols, and Signal 50 all took warranted hits in their ability. As WZ2 players searched for the next best thing, the Lachmann Sub and TAQ-56 emerged as early candidates to take over the battle royale’s meta. However, everything changed when players discovered snipers could finally one-shot kill once again after the seasonal update. Snipers took down enemies in one hit from most ranges by equipping incendiary ammunition. Players prayed that the feature wasn’t a mistake, but the sniper rifle classes’ time in the sun didn’t last long, as a stealth update reverted snipers back. Warzone 2 snipers nerfed in secret update On February 24, just seven days after players discovered snipers could one-hit kill again, the feature was reportedly removed. ModernWarzone reported, “Incendiary rounds seem to have been nerfed in Warzone as snipers can no longer down a fully armored enemy in 1 hit, even with the fire rounds equipped.” Incendiary rounds have the distinct disadvantage of reducing damage range, bullet velocity, and bullet penetration, but it wasn’t enough to convince the developers. One player responded, “I noticed this last night. It makes no sense. This was a pretty balanced way of sniping, I thought.” A second user added, “well, it sure was nice while it lasted.” Not all community members were on the same page about the nerf. “With the game’s lack of movement and ability to dodge effectively like in warzone 1, it’s insanely hard to dodge one-shot snipers.” Other players argued that snipers became too powerful on Ashika Island, as you would die without knowing what happened. Sniper rifles’ return to dominance didn’t last long, but it was a memorable experience for the community.

Warzone 2 on PC still “unplayable” after two days of performance issues – Dexerto
Warzone 2 on PC still “unplayable” after two days of performance issues ActivisionThe Season 4 Reloaded update inadvertently created PC performance issues on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. And after two days of waiting, community members demand answers from the development team. On July 12, Season 4 Reloaded went live in Warzone 2. The mid-season update slightly shifted the game’s meta by nerfing the ISO 45 and Vaznev 9k and altering every weapon’s damage profiles. It’s still unclear what exactly is different with damage profiles, but Infinity Ward explained: “some Weapons will be able to kill faster when fired more accurately, and slower when not.” World Series of Warzone Stage 2 NA and EU qualifiers matches start on July 17, and competitors had hoped to hop on and get acclimated with the new changes. Unfortunately for them and others excited about the new update, performance issues have made Warzone 2 on PC “unplayable.” The Warzone 2 devs launched an investigation into the issue. However, after two days of no answers, and with WSOW matches looming, frustrations are mounting. Warzone 2 still suffering from performance issues on PC CharlieIntel reported: “It’s now been two days since the Warzone Season 04 Reloaded update launched, and the game is practically unplayable on PC due to stuttering and FPS issues. Yikes.” The Call of Duty insider added: “Some players have been playing at 10 FPS after the new update Community members sounded off in the comment section about the game’s current state. One player responded: “It’s sad to see that such a big company can’t get their updates right. Who tested this? Who thought it was a good idea to release the update still?” A second user added: “Ranked on Himmelmat is literally a PowerPoint presentation.” Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players can’t wrap their heads around the game still not working for some after two full days. “It’s genuinely mind-boggling how it’s been f**ked for this long,” a frustrated user claimed. We will provide an update if the devs announce a fix for the issues.

Warzone 2 players frustrated by continued lack of audio fixes – Dexerto
Warzone 2 players frustrated by continued lack of audio fixes Activision BlizzardThough the Season 2 Reloaded update was supposed to fix Warzone 2’s audio issues, players continue to encounter sound-related bugs. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 developers have been promising audio improvements for the last several months. However, players remain convinced that no such fixes have actually gone live in-game. Even popular streamers like Dr Disrespect often call attention to the glaring issues, which range from a lack of footstep sounds to general audio that’s distractingly loud. The advent of Season 2 Reloaded was meant to bring about change in this regard. Yet, recent complaints from players suggest sound remains one of the Warzone sequel’s biggest shortcomings. Warzone 2 users fed up with neglect towards audio fixes The Drake ‘Hotline Bling’ meme is making the rounds on Warzone 2’s subreddit, with user Moggy_x joking that developers would rather promise to address audio issues instead of actually doing so. A post from Redditor onedestiny attacked the problem with more specificity, pointing out how there’s “still absolutely no sprint sound half the time.” Evidently, Activision has yet to rid Warzone of its long-standing audio woes. Replies to both posts indicate Warzone 2’s footsteps demand further audio fixes. One player lamented the following: “Audio is still garbage, I still don’t hear any footsteps.” Someone else said that while footsteps seem louder after the Season 2 Reloaded update, they’re “sometimes non-existent.” Responses in the “no sprint sound” thread feature even more people saying they’ve noticed slight differences. Yet, others doubt any improvements have been added. “They didn’t change anything and are just pretending to do stuff because they either can’t or don’t want to fix it,” reads one comment. Since this particular problem has plagued the sequel for months, it’s anyone’s guess as to when things will truly take a turn for the better.

Warzone 2 & MW2 players rejoice as “unplayable” games hit record low player count – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 players rejoice as “unplayable” games hit record low player count ActivisionSeason 2 did not pan out the way Infinity Ward intended. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone nosedived to record-low player counts in March. Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 reached a peak of 488,897 concurrent players on November 20, and just 17 days later, the concurrent player count plummeted to 217,328, accounting for a 56% loss in users. Conditions have not improved since a rapid decline. According to Steam Charts, the average player count dipped to a record low of 90,000, with a peak of 156,956 in March. Coincidently, Season 2 started on March 9, and we believed it had the potential to spark a revival for both games. Instead, significant figures in the scene, such as JGOD and Aydan, slammed the seasonal update and stepped away, as many others have over the past 30 days. This trend is frightening for fans of the game, but has others optimistic that the declining player count will prompt changes for one of gaming’s biggest franchises. MW2 and WZ2 community members embrace downfall Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 community members banded together in excitement over both games failing to live up to expectations. Keep in mind that Steam Charts only account for PC players on Steam, but the data tells a troubling story. One community member hopes the trend continues: “I hope it goes to 0. I haven’t touched the game in like 2 weeks or so. It shows when the game is sh** and devs don’t care about it, and only about store bundles.” Warzone 2 players argued that Infinity Ward missed a golden opportunity to capitalize on a wide-open FPS landscape. “This game won’t ever die like BF2042 because it’s COD, but it’s still such a shame how they bricked the easiest layup in the history of gaming.” Some community members hope that low numbers serve as a wake-up call to the developers. “Good. Show them how bad they blowing it.” Based on the Battle Pass timer in-game, we expect WZ2 and MW2 Season 3 to begin on April 12. We’ll keep you posted as to whether or not the new season is able to re-capture the interest of players who have since abandoned the latest CoD title.

Warzone 2 & MW2 players mock “goofy” new Battle Pass layout – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 players mock “goofy” new Battle Pass layout ActivisionPlayers have been mocking the new Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass layout that’s been introduced in Season 3, with fans claiming that the devs have “ruined” the UI even further. The in-game UI for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has been a bone of contention since both games’ releases. It’s been described by some as “the worst UI” in history, and while subtle changes have been made here and there, players still haven’t been swayed. Season 3 has dropped and made a bunch of changes to weapons, including making snipers one-shot again, and even bringing back classic CoD features from 2009. One change that has certainly not gone under the radar though is the revision of the game’s Battle Pass layout. The devs have decided to tinker with its appearance, and the changes have not gone down well. CoD players baffled by Season 3 Battle Pass changes “Who designed this? They look goofy af. All flattened n’ sh*t,” was the sentiment of one Call of Duty Reddit post that was clearly confused by the new Battle Pass aesthetic. Compared to the previous design, it certainly seems as if the sector map has been squashed and a bit more elongated compared to its previous counterpart. “It’s so funny that they ruined the one piece of UI in the game that wasn’t half bad lol,” was one of the top comments, and another user added: “Bro, just f*cking fire these UI designers.” Another Reddit thread also went in on the new Battle Pass changes with the author saying: “What the actual hell is this UI?? This has to be the ugliest change to already a new/complex UI they made for BP. Why is everything STRETCHED, even the operator mugshots on DMZ ready screen?” In the thread, players suggested the possibility that it’s “more optimized for phone screens.” In any event, the alterations to the Battle Pass get-up haven’t been very well-received. Just like the “shameless” pay-to-win additions to Warzone’s DMZ mode, players are unhappy with various aspects of Season 3 already, and we’ll have to wait and see if they get changed at any point.

Warzone 2 & MW2 leak reveals TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS as new operators – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 leak reveals TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS as new operators NICKMERCS & TimTheTatmanA Call of Duty leaker revealed TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS are coming to Warzone 2 and MW2 as operators. Activision announced an NBA crossover coming to Warzone 2 and MW2 in May. Charlieintel revealed that the mystery basketball player receiving an operator is Kevin Durant. Community members mocked the announcement and questioned not adding a more relevant character instead. CoD community members called for figures closely tied to the series, such as action heroes or content creators. Ninja is a good example when Fortnite awarded him the game’s first-ever content creator exclusive skin. It looks as though fans may get their wish, as a leak revealed a few new operators coming to WZ2 and MW2 for Season 3 Reloaded and beyond. What new operators are coming to Warzone 2 and MW2? On May 3, Task Force Leaks Images credited HeyImAlaix for datamining the TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS Operators. So why TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS for the game’s first content creator operators? Ninja was the face of Fortnite at one point at the peak of his streaming power, but it’s harder to choose a face of CoD. Former CDL pro Seth ‘Scump’ has made a strong case for himself, dominating Twitch viewership after transitioning to a full-time content creator. TimTheTatman, on the other hand, plays a variety of FPS titles, but he was at the center of the WZ1 Twitch boom and has poured hundreds of hours into the battle royale. The Warzone devs brutally trolled Tim when he asked for his own Operator skin in 2022 for his birthday, where Raven Software Tweeted an image of a clown costume, but he may finally get his own skin soon. As for NICKMERCS, he is currently an Apex Legends pro player, but fans may have forgotten that he primarily played CoD in his early streaming days. Nick dominated CoD Ghosts wager matches and streamed plenty of WZ1 during its heyday. As with any leak, taking them with a pinch of salt is important until Activision makes an official announcement.

Warzone 2 & MW2 July 19 patch notes: Dragon’s Breath underbarrel nerf, Temp V reduction, more – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 July 19 patch notes: Dragon’s Breath underbarrel nerf, Temp V reduction, more ActivisionInfinity Ward released a minor update that addresses the Dragon’s Breath shotgun attachment in Modern Warfare 2 and reduces the amount of Temp V in Warzone 2. Season 4 Reloaded added two controversial features that caught the attention of community members. The Corvus Tech Underbarrel lets players equip a Dragon’s Breath shotgun attachment on any eligible weapon. And in collaboration with Amazon’s The Boys, the Temp V Field Upgrade grants players one of four superpowers: Charge Jump, Electric Shockwave, Teleport, or the increasingly infamous Laser Vision. Both new features received criticism from players, and Infinity Ward responded accordingly. Warzone 2 players slam game-altering superpowers Community members quickly grew tired of getting instantly melted by Homelander’s signature Laser Vision. It didn’t matter how much armor a player had or how ready they were, Laser Vision proved unstoppable. Players also complained that it was far too easy to find Temp V. The sheer abundance of players with superpowers on Vondel and Ashika Island overwhelmed users. Infinity Ward heard the complaints loud and clear, reducing the amount of Temp V in a match. Let’s jump right into what else changed. Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 July 19 patch notes Here are the full MW2 and Warzone 2 patch notes. Warzone 2 & MW2 devs under fire after Season Two Battle Pass token announcement – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 devs under fire after Season Two Battle Pass token announcement ActivisionMany Call of Duty players are upset with a recent announcement that Battle Token Tier Skips will be automatically spent at the end of the season – without players’ consent. Call of Duty’s Warzone 2 launched with an all-new battle pass system in which rewards are associated with sectors players have to spend their tokens on. One that sector is finished, players can move on to one of the nearby sectors to unlock more rewards. Now, it’s been announced via a tweet that any extra Tokens players have saved up will be automatically spent at the end of Season One on their remaining locked rewards. This irked plenty of players who criticized the devs for making a decision on behalf of players who have earned or paid for their tokens and the battle pass. Call of Duty players argue to “leave this decision up to the players” A lot of players replying to the original tweet seemed to be of the opinion that this decision should not be left up to the developers. “Best to leave this decision up to the players,” commented ModernWarzone, a popular CoD content creator. Another, ProReborn, said: “uhhh.. I think its best to let people decide how they want those tokens spent?” Others were confused as to what the outrage is all about since this seems like a fairly standard battle pass mechanic. “Isn’t this just saying if someone has forgotten to use tokens, it will use them for them to give them most rewards before removed from the game? Is this not a good thing,” asked one user. While another added: “Fortnite practically does the same and no issue.” Adding to the confusion is the fact that players who bought the Vault Edition of the game were awarded with 50 skips which it seems they cannot carry into the second battle pass. “I bought the vault edition thinking I could save up the 50 tokens for when I need them later in case life gets busy, just like in MW19. They never told us they changed it. Not only that, they capped the maximum tokens you could get in season 1 to 50,” comments another user in a Reddit thread on the same topic. Barring another delay, Season Two of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 will begin on February 15.

Warzone 2 & MW2 devs finally address ongoing server issues – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 devs finally address ongoing server issues ActivisionActivision stepped forward and finally announced a long-awaited investigation into Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 server problems. Infinity Ward and other supporting studios have hand their hands full since the launch of Season 3. Tne devs redesigned battle pass secotors, after community members mocked the “goofy” new battle pass layout. Also, a god mode bug, led to the developers scrapping one of the season’s new features. Adding insult to injury, a game-breaking bug forced Infinity Ward to temporarily remove Massive Resurgence, and pay-to-win bundles outraged DMZ players. This time around, the developers are looking into server issues, plaguing MW2 and WZ2 since Season 3 began. WZ2 and MW2 developers launch investigation into server issues On April 20, Activision announced: “We are investigating reports of server-related gameplay issues and are actively working to resolve them. Across console and PC, players have raised concerns over bullet registration, delayed actions, and massive frame drops. The developers added the issue to its Trello board, allowing players to keep track of the investigation’s process. Warzone 2 streamer JoeWo has been very outspoken in his dissaproval of the devs priortizing other matters over server problems. He shared a video of a parachute not properly deploying because of server desync. JoeWo is not alone in his frustrations. ModernWarzone claimed: “Call of Duty needs to publicly acknowledge the server issues with Warzone instead of promoting Blackcell, their new bundles and battle pass all over social media.” FaZe Swagg put it simply: “Warzone 2 servers are unplayable,” and JGOD labeled Warzone 2’s net code as “pretty bad.” Activision heard complaints from every corner of the community, and finally acknowlegded the issue. Now it’s a matter of what can actually be done. Unfortunatley, the developers did not provide a timetable for the investigation or any insight on specific changes coming.

Warzone 2 & MW2 crashing issues run rampant after Season 2 update – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 crashing issues run rampant after Season 2 update ActivisionUnfortunately for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players, the issue of game crashing seems to have returned with a vengeance as there are countless reports of the Season 2 update making the game unplayable for many. A new seasonal content drop is normally a glorious time for Call of Duty players with new guns distributed across both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, as well as big-time features – such as the new Ashika Island Resurgence map. MW2 players have been enjoying the new change made to reticles and WZ2 players have lapped up the secret bunker in Warzone 2’s Ashika Island for insane loot. However, all of this enjoyment is being counteracted by consistent game crash issues that are plaguing the games of many CoD players in Season 2. The problem has been picked up on and addressed by Infinity Ward themselves who had this to say: “We’re investigating a crash impacting some Players upon starting the game. Stay tuned for updates.” It seems to go further than just merely starting the game though as players have reported their game crashing during the opening cutscene for the new season. One CoD player claimed that they had spent 11 hours trying to enjoy CoD and showed off a simply staggering amount of crash feedback messages they had sent off to Sony. If all of this wasn’t bad enough, players are also crashing constantly during the middle of matches, resulting in players winding up with 1-hour suspensions that aren’t their fault and then preventing players from even trying to play the game at all. These game crashes seem like they can happen at any time and without warning, meaning it could be a lottery trying to play a game of Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2. It’s definitely not convenient, especially in light of recent news that Warzone 2 players are already having their games crashed on purpose. But the fact that Infinity Ward has already acknowledged the problems will be a good sign though, and it should mean that fixes should be on the way sooner rather than later.

Warzone 2 & MW2 April 19 update: Buy station improvement, bug fixes more – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & MW2 April 19 update: Buy station improvement, bug fixes more Activision BlizzardInfinity Ward rolled out an update for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, addressing several bugs and UI concerns. Season 3’s first week presented a few challenging roadblocks to the WZ2 and MW2 development teams. On April 14, a patch updated the battle pass map view after community members mocked the “goofy” new battle pass layout, which redesigned the sector map. Next, on April 18, a game-breaking bug forced Infinity Ward to temporarily remove Massive Resurgence. Players spawned in the gas, resulting in matches ending in less than 40 seconds. The latest update improves server stability, makes further improvements to the battle pass UI, and makes a long laundry list of bug fixes. Buy station and battle pass adjustments made in WZ2 and MW2 On April 19, Infinity Ward released an update for WZ2 and MW2. The patch changed the battle pass once again, making it easier for players to locate the most valuable reward in a sector and reducing game crashes from entering the battle pass map. The developers also improved the usability of buy stations and weapon previews for controller players. Buy stations automatically start on the gear section, allowing players to purchase what they need faster. As for DMZ, the update added a one-minute countdown at the start of matches, preventing players from abusing the UAV killstreak immediately. And Infinity Ward fixed an issue where users couldn’t pick up an enemy’s backpack after eliminating them. Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 April 19 patch notes Here are the full April 19 patch notes: GLOBAL Stability This update contains fixes for a number of known crashes – Improved usability of controller stick rotation in Weapon Preview by preventing the weapon from sliding back and forth. – When you inspect a sector from the map view of the Battle Pass, the selection will now automatically take you to the most valuable reward in the sector. – Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause the Killcam not to trigger properly. – Fixed an issue causing users to be kicked back to the Main Menu after a second attempt to enter the Battle Pass. – Fixed an issue where despite having Dismemberment and Gore Effects turned off, enemies still exploded while using the “Singularity” Blueprint. – Fixed an issue where CDL weapon stickers would not show on weapons in-game or in Gunsmith. – Fixed an issue where you can trigger the search in the invite Players popup when you shouldn’t. – Fixed an issue in the Events tab where the price of a Reward appeared in red even though you had enough Trophies to redeem it. – Fixed an issue where some Rewards in the level progression screen didn’t have descriptions. – Fixed an issue where the Player could be kicked to the Main Menu after scrolling through the most recent players section of the Social screen. – Fixed an issue where Players wouldn’t see rain on Pelayo’s Lighthouse after infilling on Kortac Team. – Fixed an issue where the base TAQ-56 would display when previewing non-Blueprint Rewards for Ranked Play. – WARZONE 2.0 Improved Buy Station interface for Players using a controller to now start on Gear Selection. – Fixed an issue causing rewards for the “Hold The Line” mission to not be rewarded to Players after completion. – Fixed an issue causing Players to have spawn protection incorrectly applied after a Gulag match. – Fixed an issue causing Players to spawn in a Battle Royale lobby with a Default Loadout instead of their favorited Loadout. – Fixed an issue causing Players to crash when attempting to open the AAR. – Added a one-minute countdown on DMZ match start before Player can use UAV Killstreak. – Added a message in DMZ Active Duty Operator Slots explaining that the last Operator cannot be dismissed. – Fixed an issue where the “Enforcer” Raid reward was not properly equipping in DMZ. – Fixed an issue where the “Double Cross” Mission in DMZ would incorrectly require a specific Dead Drop location – Fixed an issue where Players using a controller were unable to pick up an enemy’s backpack after eliminating them. – Fixed an issue that could duplicate weapons after dropping and stowing inventory interactions in DMZ. –

Warzone 2 devs finally promise movement changes & more in Season 3 – Dexerto
Warzone 2 devs finally promise movement changes & more in Season 3 Activision BlizzardIn a Community Update, Warzone 2 developers promised that players can expect movement changes to finally arrive with the launch of Season 3. The road to better movement mechanics has been a long one for Call of Duty: Warzone players. Not even a year has passed since dedicated fans rallied for improvements to maneuvers such as mantling and slide canceling in the original Warzone. Warzone 2’s arrival saw Activision ditch the slide cancel move to the chagrin of many a Call of Duty fan. And even the Season 2 addition of sprinting while plating ruffled some feathers since full-on sprinting wasn’t possible under these circumstances. Now yet another set of movement-related updates is coming to the Warzone sequel with the advent of Season 3. Expect movement changes to arrive with Warzone 2 Season 3 In a Community Update centered around Warzone 2’s upcoming third season, Call of Duty developers ensured players that movement and traversal improvements are on the way. “Movement will now feel more dynamic and fluid due in part to improvements to mantling over objects or through windows, with slight adjustments to sliding and diving responsiveness, and the addition of Redeploy Drones to better enable rotation opportunities,” reads the post in part. How well such an update will address long-running user complaints presently remains to be seen. At the very least, it appears developers have taken the necessary steps toward tackling community feedback. In addition to movement changes, the Community Update also outlines the pacing and combat adjustments coming to Warzone 2 Season 3. With respect to improving the Battle Royale’s pacing, developers have decreased the delay time between circles closing in the mid-game. Other changes include the scattering of additional Ammo Caches and Buy Stations to “support regain in the late-game.” Meanwhile, combat visibility will become clearer thanks to the “reduced intensity of damage feedback on the HUD.” And it was previously confirmed that one-hit snipers are returning to boost playstyle variety.

Warzone 2 most popular ranked landing spots: Where to land for extra kills – Dexerto
Warzone 2 most popular ranked landing spots: Where to land for extra kills ActivisionRanked has become a big hit since it launched in Warzone 2 with Season 3 Reloaded, and at this point most players have found their regular drops and figured out the best rotations off spawn. But which drops have been the most and least popular in Warzone 2 ranked? Season 3 Reloaded for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 kicked off on May 10, bringing with it the highly-requested and long-awaited Ranked mode that has evaded the game for so long. With sentiment around the Call of Duty battle royale somewhat dwindling, as interest wanes in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, ranked has been a welcome addition to bring people back to the game and let them compete to fight up the ranks. What might be handy for players to know, though, is where exactly their opponents are most likely to land. This knowledge could help with choosing a landing spot, deciding where to rotate to, and how to approach certain areas of the map. Warzone 2 Ranked landing spot heat map Fortunately, this heat map tells us exactly where players are most likely to land in any given game. While it can never be an exact science, there are clearly areas of Al Mazrah that are more populated than others, meaning you could avoid them if you’re in it for the long haul, or drop there if you’re chasing high-kill games. As you can see, areas such as Observatory, Al Mazrah City, and Hydroelectric remain very popular, so could be busy if choose to drop there. On the other end of the spectrum, the outer areas such as Port, Quarry, and Airport aren’t very popular, meaning it might be easier to drop there and loot up before heading into battle. While you’ll already have your drops figured out, hopefully this will help you get a better idea of how to play out the game, or even change up some of your drops to help secure wins more easily.

Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 delay leaked by dataminers – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 delay leaked by dataminers ActivisionIt is being reported that Season 2 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 is set to be delayed, with Season 1 apparently pushing beyond its scheduled February 1 launch date despite calls from players for major change in the game. Following a busy holiday period, it was reported that the Warzone 2 player count dropped at a “higher rate than expected,” leaving both fans and devs concerned about the immediate future of the title, especially after becoming the most successful launch in CoD history. That said, many thought that Season 2 could bring about some big changes in the game, making it more exciting and adding something fresh to the game, not allowing it to get stale. While the in-game Battle Pass timer currently has Season 2 penned for February 1, according to dataminers, this may be getting pushed back by two weeks. This would mean Season 2 of Warzone 2 and MWII would launch on February 15, almost 3 months to the day since the new battle royale title launched and players first dropped into Al Mazrah. Top creators, as well as the casual player base, haven’t been afraid to share their concerns with the CoD BR in recent weeks, and this news — while still not confirmed at the time of writing — is unlikely to make that better. If this does turn out to be true, devs Raven Software will no doubt want to communicate this information as soon as possible, or risk surprising players last-minute and potentially causing even more uproar.

Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Path of the Ronin event: Start date, challenges & rewards ActivisionA new themed event for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 arrives at the beginning of Season 2, and here is everything players need to know about the start date, challenges, and rewards. Season 2 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 began on February 15 with new maps, game modes, and weapons for players to try out. With the launch of the next season, a new in-game event also went live, offering fans the chance to get more rewards while playing. Here is everything to know about the start date, the challenges available, and the rewards included in the Path of The Ronin event. Path of the Ronin start date, challenges, and rewards According to the official Call of Duty blog post, the new event started on February 15 at 9 AM PST, and ends on March 14. There are seven main challenges across Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. These are “based on the Seven Virtues of Bushido: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty.” Honor This requires the player to score 100 objective defense kills in multiplayer or collect your dog tag five times in Warzone 2. Hardpoint will provide you plenty of opportunities to score objective defense kills. – Integrity Integrity requires 15 wins in any multiplayer game mode or five Top 10 finishes in Warzone 2. – Sincerity Sincerity can be completed by getting 50 kills using Battle Rage in multiplayer or completing five Assassination Contracts after hopping into Warzone 2. – Compassion Compassion requires 100 assists. Meanwhile, you’ll have to revive 20 teammates in Warzone 2 matches to complete the challenge in the battle royale. – Courage For Courage, you’ll have to get three kills without dying 25 times to complete this section. Warzone 2 players can conquer the Courage challenge by completing three Search and Seizure contracts. – Loyalty To complete the Loyalty challenge, players must get 50 Operator Revenge kills in Modern Warfare 2. This may require a little bit of patience and persistence, as Revenge kills in Modern Warfare 2 occur when you kill the person who killed you last. Those looking to complete the Loyalty challenge in Warzone 2 must complete three downloads during the Data Heist public event. – Respect Warzone players must perform 3 executions on enemy players in matches to complete the Respect challenge. Meanwhile, getting 25 Melee Operator kills is the key to completing it in Modern Warfare 2. Both require a sneaky and stealthy style of play. – Rewards The ultimate reward for completing the Path of the Ronin is the crossbow. Each of the seven individual challenges will also have a reward, but those are yet to be seen. – Path of the Ronin Expansion challenges and rewards Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are receiving a fresh set of Path of the Ronin challenges in Season 2 Reloaded. The event shifts from the seven virtues of Bushido to mastering every weapon. Assault Rifles: Get 125 headshots (eliminations) – Battle Rifles: Get 75 headshots – Submachine Guns: Get 100 headshots – Light Machine Guns: Get 75 headshots – Shotguns: Get 50 headshots – Marksman Rifles: Get 50 headshots – Sniper Rifles: Get 50 headshots – Handguns: Get 30 headshots – Melee: Get 30 kills from behind – Launcher: Get 40 kills – Completing a weapon challenge unlocks the Winds of Ash camo for every weapon in that specific weapon category. Completing every challenge unlocks another new camo for every weapon, Bowing Blossoms, and a golden weapon charm. Warzone 2 & Mobile leak reveals night maps, including Rebirth Island – Dexerto
Warzone 2 & Mobile leak reveals night maps, including Rebirth Island ActivisionA Warzone 2 and Warzone Mobile leak revealed night versions of maps and also confirmed a fan-favorite environment for the upcoming mobile title. Modern Warfare 2019 first introduced the concept of nighttime multiplayer maps, with a dedicated playlist featuring night versions of each environment. Players permanently wore night vision goggles and all weapons could only hip fire with a laser sight. Modern Warfare 2 brought an NVG (night vision goggles) mode in Season 3. The new map, Black Gold, forced players to equip night vision goggles and fight in the pitch black. The devs also added night vision goggles to Al Mazrah in DMZ as part of the update. Now it makes more sense, as a leak revealed WZ2 fans could receive the first-ever nighttime battle royale experience. Warzone 2 leak reveals nighttime versions of Al Mazrah and Rebirth Island On May 19, ModernWarzone reported: “Dataminers have found references to Rebirth Island and a nighttime version of Al Mazrah in the files for Modern Warfare II.” The CoD insider elaborated: “Rebirth Island COULD be for Warzone Mobile, but nighttime Al Mazrah is almost certainly for Warzone 2.” We still don’t know much about Warzone Mobile. However, Activision confirmed the title features 120 player lobbies on the fan-favorite map, Verdansk. A leak additionally revealed that Rebirth Island would also be coming to the experience. Rebirth Island was beloved by community members during the original Warzone. Activision decided to remove the map when WZ2 launched, aggravating fans. As for when players can expect to get their hands on Warzone Mobile, CharlieIntel reported Warzone Mobile’s release date on the App Store changed from May 15, 2023 to November 1, 2023.” It’s important not to take leaks at face value until the devs provide an official statement. But community members would certainly celebrate the return of Rebirth Island in any fashion after the environment was taken away from them.

Warzone 2 Combat Record & Leaderboards finally coming in Season 2 – Dexerto
Warzone 2 Combat Record & Leaderboards finally coming in Season 2 ActivisonA Warzone 2 player noticed a bug that suggested a Combat Record and Leaderboards were imminent, and this has turned out to be the case after the devs confirmed it. Since Warzone 2 launched, players have been waiting patiently to be able to view their stats in the game, especially after they were added to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Leaderboards were expected to come much earlier than now, having been delayed until the end of 2022. Some players even argue that it should have been available at launch for players to start tracking their stats immediately. In short, it’s been a huge point of contention in recent months as players keep grinding out wins and high-kill games, but with no way to keep track of their progress and overall stats. Now, after a bugged menu glitch appeared to reveal the presence of both a Combat Record and Leaderboards, the devs went ahead and made this official with a confirmation tweet. “Someone from my game sent this to me and said he game bugged for a minute and he got to see BR stats and leaderboards,” said Warzone pro Reidboy, alongside a screenshot of the Combat Record page. It was featured right alongside the Multiplayer stats tab, and said the player had to “play 5 games to unlock.” It also didn’t actually feature any specific stats for the player. Some took this to mean that Combat Record and Leaderboards would be arriving in Season 2, though there had been no confirmation from the devs at the time of writing. However, things have changed, and the official Call of Duty Twitter account informed players that the long-awaited features are finally dropping. This does mean that players will finally be losing progress of their accomplishments recorded to date, but Season 2 will represent a fresh start for all players to start racking up wins and making their KD look flashy.

Warzone 2 master finds genius DMZ strategy to extract weapon cases solo – Dexerto
Warzone 2 master finds genius DMZ strategy to extract weapon cases solo ActivisionWarzone 2 content creator Glitchy has unveiled the strategy he used to unlock the biohazard skin as quickly as he could in the DMZ mode when playing solo. DMZ is proving difficult to crack for lone wolves, as dropping in solo puts you against overwhelming odds. There’s the perfect aim AI that ignores visibility-reducing effects and enemy squads that can revive themselves as much as they want. If you somehow survive all of that, you are very likely to be hunted down by players camping exfil points, waiting for someone to bring the weapon’s case to them. The deck is stacked against solo players, but Glitchy came up with a strategy that will give you a much better chance of successfully exfiltrating with the weapon case while playing DMZ by yourself. Genius solo DMZ exfiltration strategy “Our plan is going to be to get a hostage setup. If you don’t already know what that is, basically you do the hostage mission and you get your own personal exfil that is not marked on the map,” says Glitchy when loading into the match. His game plan is to secure a vehicle and grab a hostage rescue contract that’s closest to the weapon case search zone. “Unfortunately you cannot drive with the hostage, so I had to place him on top of the vehicle,” he explains after rescuing the hostage. “What you do is you bring the hostage, and you put him right next to the exfil chopper. And it will stay there the entire time.” The game plan from then on out is to find the Juggernaut in the gun case search zone and take him out. Ideally luring him into a building and unloading a clip into his helmet. From there you just secure the case, hightail it back to the hostage, finish his rescue, and exfil with him. As always you don’t want to go into the hot zone empty-handed, so check out our weapon tier list for Warzone 2, and by extension DMZ.

Warzone 2 March 2 update: AI nerf, UI changes, crash fixes – Dexerto
Warzone 2 March 2 update: AI nerf, UI changes, crash fixes ActivisionInfinity Ward released a small update for Warzone 2 and DMZ, nerfing AI, fixing bug crashes, and more. Warzone 2 introduced the battle royale’s first Resurgence map, Ashika Island, as part of the Season 2 update. The developers added two new contracts, Data Heist and Search and Seizure, alongside the new environment. Community members bashed Data Heist for adding AI enemies onto Ashika Island. Players must download intel from one of the map’s three uplink stations and take down the AI Shadow Company enemies to complete a Data Heist contract. Ashika Island is already small enough, so some Warzone 2 players argued AI enemies ruined the pacing of games. Fortunately for those opposed, Infinity Ward reduced the number of AI enemies during Data Heist contracts, and made a few other significant changes as well. Infinity Ward announced bug fixes and AI nerfs On March 1, Infinity Ward announced changes coming to AI enemies in DMZ but didn’t give any specifics. The devs shed more light on the situation in the latest patch notes. AI enemies now deal “moderately” less damage on Al Mazrah and Ashika Island in DMZ. Modern Warfare 2 has already made several UI changes, and the March 2 update makes navigating through the Battle Pass easier. The update also fixed an issue where the gas wouldn’t damage AI enemies. An annoying bug caused the Recent Players list to be non-responsive, which has also been fixed. Lastly, Infinity Ward improved performance on Ashika Island and also fixed a few wonky physics bugs on the new map. Warzone 2 March 2 patch notes Here are the full Warzone 2 March 2 patch notes. Warzone 2 lobby sizes revealed: CoD BR sequel bumps player count back to original figure – Dexerto
Warzone 2 lobby sizes revealed: CoD BR sequel bumps player count back to original figure ActivisionWhile there’s been plenty of speculation, we now know for certain how big Warzone 2 lobbies will be once the Battle Royale sequel arrives on November 16. The exact number of players dropping into a match has always been a point of contention in Warzone. Whether it’s big maps or small, standard playlists or limited-time modes, the specifics are often changing, forcing players to adapt in each game type. Although Warzone originally launched with support for 150 players in each lobby, that soon changed as the seasons rolled on. In certain cases, we saw a decrease, while other instances occasionally dipped above the 150 count during the Caldera era. So with Al Mazrah now coming into focus in Warzone 2, many have been questioning just what to expect when dropping back in. Fortunately, we now have a concrete answer on the exact lobby size in Warzone 2. Warzone 2 lobby size confirmed As revealed during an early creator event on November 9, we know Warzone 2 has officially locked in a 150-player lobby size. This seemingly applies to all standard Battle Royale modes upon release. This positions Warzone 2 in familiar territory, pivoting back to the original player count that led Warzone to such immense popularity during its early years. Obviously, plans can always change and 150 might not stick in the long term. Once we get our hands on with Al Mazrah, we might find the map too big and need more players, or vice versa. Rest assured, developers will be listening to that feedback and reacting accordingly. It’s still very early days yet with the BR sequel so it’s safe to expect more fine-tuning over the coming months. We’ll be sure to keep you updated right here with all the latest changes to Warzone 2’s lobby size as we go.

Warzone 2 lobbies are being offset with bizarre team sizes – Dexerto
Warzone 2 lobbies are being offset with bizarre team sizes Infinity WardWarzone 2 players are bizarrely being put into larger squads than usual, with some even joining six-person teams with randoms they never invited. Just as its name implies, Quads in Warzone 2 is meant to only have squads of four in the CoD Battle Royale. So it threw players for a loop on March 6 when various squads suddenly had six players in their party instead of the normal four. A user on Reddit posted a picture of their squad with five people to begin with, when they were only supposed to have the standard four. Some speculated they may have been playing DMZ and accidentally invited a fifth, but the user assured them it was Battle Royale Quads. Nor could it be the Unhinged mode that allows players to join teams midway through the match, as these playlists have been removed from Warzone 2. Warzone streamer TheTacticalBear also had a bizarre party when starting a game of Battle Royal Quads on the same day. This time, it was with six players instead of five. In a regular livestream, for some unknown reason, his squad had the addition of two other players they did not invite, nor did they even know. The 6 man squad game starts at 3:41:09 TheTacticalBear would eventually win the game, quite convincingly, as they obviously had a man advantage. But interestingly enough, in the end cutscene where it shows off your squad winning, they showed all six players in the plane. Other squads shown in the end credits also had irregular squad sizes, with some also showing up with five to six players. Many have speculated this bug could either be caused by the recently removal of the aforementioned Unhinged modes, with certain traits still lingering in the latest patch. Or adversely, it could be a bug where the game thinks you are playing DMZ, where you can have a squad of up to 6 players. However, that is all speculation. Activision has not released any statements or fixes for the bug as of writing this. So be on the lookout for bigger teams than usual while dropping into Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 loadout drops finally return with December 20 update – Dexerto
Warzone 2 loadout drops finally return with December 20 update ActivisionWarzone 2 controversially removed loadout drops from buy stations, but the highly requested feature is back. Removing loadout drops split the Warzone 2 community. The decision forced players to acquire their loadouts by other means. Teams could complete Strongholds, wait for the public event drop, or purchase primary weapons from buy stations. TimTheTatman praised the design choice because “loadouts make the ground loot feel useless.” He argued, “it’s kind of boring because everyone is using the same gun.” Making custom weapons harder to earn raised the stakes and made looting more important. Activision went against that reasoning and backtracked on its initial decision, making loadout weapons easier to acquire. A wave of updates trickled out, culminating in loadout drops returning to buy stations on December 20. Loadout drops are back in Warzone 2 The tides began to shift On December 16. An update doubled the number of buy stations per match and moved the loadout drop public event from the third circle to the second circle. Then, the developers doubled down on the new direction, decreasing the price of primary weapons at buy stations. Both updates made it easier to get loadout weapons faster, and players praised both changes as a step in the right direction. The writing was on the wall for what came next. Raven Software announced a return for loadout drops at buy stations on December 20. It’s important to note the developers also stated, “The continuity of this feature will depend on the feedback we receive and overall impact on the Battle Royale experience in Warzone 2.” How much do loadout drops cost in Warzone 2? Here’s how much loadout drops cost in each playlist. Solos – $8,000 – Duos – $16,000 – Trios – $24,000 – Quads – $32,000 – We will provide an update if any more amendments are made to the loadout drop system.

Warzone 2 loadout drops appearing at Buy Stations with cheaper prices – Dexerto
Warzone 2 loadout drops appearing at Buy Stations with cheaper prices ActivisionWarzone 2 controversially removed loadout drops from buy stations, but a player managed to unearth the missing feature. At the CoD Next event on September 15, Activision gave fans their first look at Warzone 2. Removing loadouts garnered the most attention among new gameplay changes, such as a revamped gulag and looting system. The developers backtracked on their initial decision, including loadouts at the battle royale’s launch, but with a twist. Instead of purchasing loadout drops from buy stations, players could only purchase loadout weapons. Activision’s decision forced players to procure loadout drops by other means. However, a player’s discovery may indicate another change in direction for the battle royale sequel. Warzone 2 player discovers loadout drop at buy station A Warzone TikToker showed they were able to buy a loadout drop from a buy station for just $2,000. In comparison, a loadout weapon costs $5,000. The only way to currently earn a loadout drop in Warzone 2 is through completing a stronghold or waiting for a world loadout drop, which randomly drops a limited amount between the second and sixth circle collapses. Fewer loadouts results in players relying on ground loot instead of using their loadouts as a crutch. Players had mixed reactions to loadout drops potentially returning to WZ2. One user responded, “Without loadouts and perks, the game actually feels like a proper BR game, not just a bigger sweaty cod lobby.” While a second player argued, “I’m only not playing the game because I can’t use my load out. What the point of leveling your guns if you can’t use them.” Most community members in the comments also agreed that the $2,000 price tag would need to be raised. We will provide an update if the developers provide an update on the feature potentially returning or if this was just a bug.

Warzone 2 loadout changes explained: How to get a loadout on Al Mazrah – Dexerto
Warzone 2 loadout changes explained: How to get a loadout on Al Mazrah ActivisonObtaining your loadout in Warzone 2 is essential if you want to dominate the competition, so here’s exactly how you can get your hands on your custom class setups in Warzone 2. Just like the previous title, loadouts are a huge component of Warzone 2 and allow players to use their custom setups that are tailored to their play style. While competitors will drop into Al Mazrah with a X12 Handgun, two Armor Plates, and a pair of fists to their name, the hunt for their loadout will begin as soon as they hit the ground. Despite this, although the Warzone 2 loadout system is extremely similar to the original game, there are some fundamental changes you need to know. So, without further ado, here’s exactly how Warzone 2 loadouts work and how you can obtain your own on Al Mazrah. Contents All loadout changes in Warzone 2 Returning from the original game, loadouts in Warzone 2 contain a primary weapon, secondary weapon, lethal, tactical, and a premade perk package. Loadouts in Warzone 2 are exactly the same as the previous title, arriving in loadouts drops which can descend at any time between the second and sixth circle collapses through an in-game event. Of course, players don’t have to wait for a loadout to drop out of the sky, but earning one for themselves is a little different in the sequel. Instead of buying them with cash from buy stations, the method is a little more hands-on and will require a lot more concentration. How to get a loadout in Warzone 2 Unlike the original game, players will not be able to buy loadout drops by using cash at Buy Stations. Instead, they’ll have to complete an objective on the map called Strongholds which will reward them with a loadout drop once they’re complete. Three Strongholds will appear on Al Mazrah at the end of the first circle collapse in Battle Royale matches and several will spawn automatically in DMZ by finding a key somewhere around the map. These are marked on the map with a green castle icon and require a squad to defuse a bomb before it explodes. It’s worth noting that AI combatants will be defending the location, so make sure you’re prepared. As noted above, random loadout drops will descend at any time between the second and sixth circle collapses, so you can wait for them if you’d prefer to avoid Strongholds. Custom Weapons in Warzone 2 While you may not be able to buy loadouts from Buy Stations, you can purchase custom primary weapons from your loadouts. This allows you to spend earned cash on a weapon that you need as quickly as possible and offers a less risky method of getting your hands on a top-tier gun. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about loadouts in Warzone 2 and how to get your hands on them. Remember Call of Duty: Warzone 2 goes live on November 16, so make sure to preload the game ahead of time.

Warzone 2 LMG no one uses has faster TTK than meta weapons and will be top pick soon – Dexerto
Warzone 2 LMG no one uses has faster TTK than meta weapons and will be top pick soon ActivisionIf you’re looking to get ahead of the meta in Warzone 2 then there is an LMG you may want to start using as it has a better TTK than some top picks and probably isn’t going to get nerfed. Over the last few months, the meta in Warzone 2 has undergone some noticeable shake-ups. Initially, LMGs ruled the roost, with the Sakin and RPK being the go-to weapons of choice. After they got nerfed, and one-shot snipers were introduced, many players started using a combination of the ISO Hemlock, Cronen Squall, Intervention (FJX Imperium), and the MCPR-300. Following Season 3 Reloaded, the Hemlock was hit with another nerf and, after a few weeks, was dethroned as the new go-to gun by the Squall. With Season 4 approaching, a few of the top weapons will likely go under the microscope and be hit with changes. That should allow some currently underused guns to take their spot, and WhosImmortal appears to have already found one. Best 556 Icarus LMG loadout in Warzone 2 That’s right, the Warzone 2 stats guru has pointed to the 556 Icarus as the next meta weapon in the battle royale, noting that the LMG has the TTK to compete with some of the best picks already. As the stats show, the Icarus has a TTK of around 573ms in fights up to 30 meters, which is way faster than the Squall, Hemlock, and even the M4. The LMG does drop off a little after that but remains competitive if gunfights then take place beyond 40 meters. “Master this gun and it’s going to have some very high upsides, especially as we see some of these main meta weapons get nerfed,” WhosImmortal said. “This isn’t one that’s being used a ton, so I’d be surprised if this actually caught some nerfs in the future.” Muzzle: Echoless-80 – Barrel: FTAC Coldforge 16’ Barrel – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity – As noted, the LMG is being slept on a fair bit. WZRanked stats place it as the 39th most-used gun in the game with a 0.2% pick rate. That has held steady and hasn’t really seen a bump recently, but who knows, when Season 4 rolls around, it might just shoot up into the top 10.

Warzone 2 leaks hint at armor & loot system taken straight from Apex Legends – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leaks hint at armor & loot system taken straight from Apex Legends ActivisionA new Call of Duty Warzone 2 leak claims that changes to the armor and loot system will be introduced into the game, which seems very similar to battle royales such as Apex Legends. With so many battle royales on the market vying for attention, Call of Duty Warzone 2 could manage to set itself apart as the first true battle royale sequel. Warzone 2’s sequel status gives it a unique advantage among other battle royale titles as it gives the developers a chance to overhaul tried and true systems while keeping the same framework intact. Now, thanks to some potential new information, it seems that Warzone 2 could be incorporating a new armor and loot system that takes some inspiration from battle royales like Apex Legends. Warzone 2 introduces new armor and loot system The leak goes into detail about a variety of different topics surrounding new features being added to Warzone 2. One of those topics is the return of armor vests as loot, which will function similarly to how they did in Call of Duty Blackout. In Blackout, players could find different tiered armor vests around the map that would provide stronger protection the higher the tier. However, the leak clarifies that this new armor system seems to be a hybrid of Warzone’s armor plate system and Blackout’s tiered plates. Players will need to find tiered armor vests before they can equip armor plates this time around. According to the leak, players will be able to equip more armor plates with the higher tier armor but will have to replenish armor plates once they break, similarly to Warzone. Warzone 2 introduces new bag system Next, the leak discusses the new bag system that will allegedly be introduced in Warzone 2. It seems this bag system will function like other battle royale inventory systems, but is particularly reminiscent to Escape from Tarkov in a few key ways. Like Tarkov, it seems players will be able to items like ammo, weapons, and killstreaks to their bag provided they have the space. Bag tiers can be upgraded to provide players with more inventory, as different items will take up different amounts of space. For example, a killstreak may take up a 2 by 2 space on the grid, while a sniper rifle may take up a 2 by 4 space. While it remains to be seen if these leaks are accurate they could really shake up Warzone 2’s battle royale formula in some pretty interesting ways if they prove to be true.

Warzone 2 leaks claim Treyarch will develop new BR map alongside CoD 2024 – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leaks claim Treyarch will develop new BR map alongside CoD 2024 Treyarch / ActivisionCall of Duty leaks claim developers Treyarch are set to design a new Warzone 2.0 map alongside their 2024 installment in the immensely popular FPS franchise. The release of Warzone, while undoubtedly a major success for Activision, has perhaps clouded the clarity of the series’ future. Where annual installments were often the extent of what CoD players could expect, there are now real questions over how the battle royale’s sequel fits with the future of the franchise. We know that when Warzone 2.0 drops in mid-November, it will feature the brand new Al Mazrah map. That appears set to be the primary map for the Modern Warfare 2 life-cycle, which is expected to be two years for the first time in CoD history. However, new leaks claim that, when Treyarch’s next annual installment drops in 2024, there will be a brand new Warzone 2.0 map alongside it. Warzone 2 Treyarch map leaks The information comes by way of TheGhostofHope, a reputable leaker in the CoD community who has correctly released information pertaining to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 in the past. On October 6, they tweeted: “Treyarch will be leading map design for a new Warzone 2.0 map set to release alongside their premium release in 2024. Support studios will help with the asset creation/placement.” Little is known about CoD 2024 or the rumored map but, assuming trends are to be continued, we can expect some classic Treyarch POIs to feature alongside POIs from the upcoming annual title too. The smaller role of ‘support studios’ also fits with CoD precedent, which saw Infinity Ward take lead on the initial Warzone design, before management was handed over to Raven Software. Despite the leaker’s track record, there’s no guarantee that this information is accurate and it will remain unconfirmed until Activision or Treyarch break their silence. With MW2 still not released, don’t hold your breath for news soon. Regardless, it comes just a day after leaks claimed Sledgehammer Games will be developing Advanced Warfare 2 as their next CoD game following Vanguard’s disappointing response. Whatever Activision are planning, there’s an awful lot for CoD fans to be excited about.

Warzone 2 leaks claim popular feature from Caldera & Rebirth Island is returning – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leaks claim popular feature from Caldera & Rebirth Island is returning ActivisionFresh Warzone 2 leaks claim that Redeploy Balloons – which debuted in Caldera and Rebirth Island during Warzone Pacific’s life cycle – will be returning in the battle royale sequel in the near future. In any battle royale, movement and mobility are incredibly important as players look for the quickest ways to navigate the typically large environments that accompany the last-man-standing modes. Warzone 2 is no different, with Al Mazrah offering players a host of ways to get around. From vehicles like quad bikes and motorboats to steep cliffs that allow players to pull their parachutes and glide to safety, it’s a constant focus of devs to keep movement fresh and balanced. With Season 2 of WZ2 now on the horizon – and promising a new Resurgence environment known as Ashika Island – leaks have promised another movement mechanic. This time, it’s one that was popular back in Warzone Pacific and featured in both Caldera and Rebirth Island. Redeploy Drones reportedly coming to Warzone 2.0 soon Warzone Pacific’s second season introduced Redeploy Balloons across Caldera. These allowed players to zipline up to a floating balloon and then glide from a significant height to wherever they chose. Portable Redeploy Balloons also featured as Field Upgrades that players earned by completing contracts. Fresh leaks, by way of MWIIntel, claim they’ll be returning under the new name of ‘Redeploy Drones’. The exact manner in which they’ll function hasn’t been determined yet. According to the leaks, which are corroborated by an Ashika Island map image, there is the potential for them to be ‘personal’ rather than a communal map object. TheGhostofHope, a reputable leaker who has leaked WZ2 information correctly in the past, corroborated MWIIntel’s post, saying: “‘Redeploy Balloons’ from Warzone 1 will be returning in Warzone 2 reskinned/renamed as ‘Redeploy Drones.’ Portable and stationary versions will both exist.” In short, it sounds as if they’ll be available as items specific players can deploy, as well as stationed around the map for all players to utilize. It’s also not entirely clear whether they’ll be added to both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. The latter looks guaranteed to have them given the Season 2 image depicting them, but we’ll have to wait and see for Al Mazrah. Barring any more delays, Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will drop on February 15.

Warzone 2 leaker claims major changes on the way for loadout system, inventory, armor, more – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leaker claims major changes on the way for loadout system, inventory, armor, more ActivisionA wide range of leaked Warzone 2 details have spilled out online, pointing towards major fundamental changes for the Call of Duty Battle Royale. From inventory management to key loadout adjustments, there’s plenty to dissect. Since the announcement of Warzone 2 back in January, Activision has remained tight-lipped on the BR sequel. From a release date to core gameplay details, little else is known beyond the simple fact that it’s in development. Though new details now appear to be slipping through the cracks as leaks have seemingly emerged following a recent test. According to a source close to popular YouTuber ‘NerosCinema,’ fans should expect a number of significant changes with Warzone 2. While there’s no certainty in these claims for now, other prominent industry insiders like Tom Henderson have also chimed in to verify select tidbits. But with that said, be sure to take the following with a grain of salt as we rundown the biggest details from Warzone 2’s latest wave of leaks. Alleged Loadout changes in Warzone 2 The first major change shared with NerosCinema has to do with Warzone’s Loadout Drop system. Rather than simply cashing in at a Buy Station to secure that first custom Loadout, players may soon have to earn them through unique challenges in the sequel. “Loadouts are still going to be part of the game,” the YouTuber claimed, “but they will be locked behind these things called Strongholds.” Based on early descriptions, a number of these Strongholds will supposedly be scattered across the new Warzone 2 map. Players then have to enter the Stronghold and complete a certain objective, according to the leaker. From “infiltrating a building,” to “defusing a bomb” and simply killing waves of AI, these mini-challenges seemingly lead to Loadouts, NerosCinema explained. If this supposed change is accurate, there’s no telling if Strongholds will be the only means of acquiring loadouts in Warzone 2. Random drops around the map could still be present after all. We’ll have to wait and see to verify the authenticity of this claim. Leaked inventory system & armor changes Over the past few years, Warzone’s inventory system has remained relatively unchanged. Though with the arrival of Warzone 2, inventories appear to be in store for the biggest overhaul yet, if early leaks hold true. “A bag system is going to be implemented,” NerosCinema claimed. With this system, all items and equipment will allegedly take up a certain amount of inventory space. For instance, killstreaks, grenades, and even spare weapons can all be carried in this bag, according to the leaker. Rather than having dedicated spots for certain items as we do now, this change could provide more flexibility, allowing players to pick and choose what they carry. Seemingly as a result of this inventory pivot, armor may also function differently in the upcoming sequel. Rather than having the ability to stockpile a few plates by default, players could soon “need a satchel to even be able to equip them in the first place,” the YouTuber said. This could mean all players drop into Warzone 2 without any armor to help them survive. Only through looting satchels will teams then be able to boost their overall health, if these details hold true. New map detailed alongside Firing Range feature As previous leaks have indicated, Warzone 2 appears set to mark the arrival of an entirely new Battle Royale map. While details remain scarce on the setting and scope of said map, this round of leaks claimed one specific POI is already locked in. “One area that was specifically mentioned was Highrise from Modern Warfare 2,” the YouTuber claimed. While we’d heard the likes of Favela, Afghan, Quarry, Terminal, and Trailer Park in previous reports, Highrise can seemingly be added to that list of classic maps returning in Warzone 2. Moreover, the source also informed NerosCinema that a highly-requested Firing Range feature would launch with Warzone 2. Not the map from the Black Ops series, but rather a dedicated testing ground to check various loadouts and optimize your builds. Doubling down on earlier leaks, this Firing Range will supposedly allow for “damage numbers on targets,” removing any guesswork for those looking to maximize their output. Sounds to me like some dude who got confused with DMZ and WZ2 lol — Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) May 17, 2022 Again, while this information may seem enticing for now, it’s worth taking everything here with a grain of salt. While Henderson has backed up certain details, claiming “a lot of this is true,” others aren’t quite sold. “Sounds to me like some dude got confused with DMZ and Warzone 2,” fellow CoD leaker ‘TheGhostOfHope’ replied, suggesting these gameplay changes may be tied to the new Modern Warfare 2 mode instead. We’ll have to wait and see how things pan out in the coming months. But rest assured, if any Warzone 2 details are made official, we’ll keep you in the loop.

Warzone 2 leaker claims Loadouts & Perks return, AI reduced after CoD Next backlash – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leaker claims Loadouts & Perks return, AI reduced after CoD Next backlash ActivisionNew Warzone 2 leaks seemingly point towards the return of both custom Loadouts and Perks after their controversial removal at the Call of Duty Next reveal event. The same leaker has also hinted at a reduction in AI throughout the map and even an overhaul of the game’s UI. At the CoD Next event on September 15 came a full reveal of Warzone 2 after months of secrecy. By seeing the game in action we learned of new systems, got a preview of the Al Mazrah map, and also got a glimpse at a number of core gameplay changes. From an overhaul of the Gulag to a brand new Gunsmith, there was plenty for fans to wrap their heads around. Though among the tweaks came a few controversial decisions — name Loadouts and custom Perks being completely removed in this early build of the sequel. Not only that, but AI-controlled enemies flooded almost every POI, giving players more to worry about than just other humans in the lobby. For some, these adjustments were seen as an improvement on the original Warzone experience. For many though, it left them concerned for the game’s new direction. The likes of NICKMERCS even argued what they saw in Los Angeles was final, and fans were “f**king dumb” for thinking things would change before the November 16 release date. However, it now appears that’s exactly the case. If leaks from prominent Warzone content creator Metaphor are accurate, many of the most significant changes have since been reverted in a new Warzone 2 update. Tweeting a series of emojis on September 27, the popular CoD personality teased three key changes without saying a word. Interpreting these emojis in order, it appears AI bots have been removed from much of the map. Instead, they’re seemingly tied to Strongholds only, as the castle emoji implies. Many were quickly vocal on their displeasure with the abundance of AI in Warzone 2. It became tough to distinguish between real players and less threatening bots, especially given they could appear around almost any corner in the original build played on stage at CoD Next. When the full game launches, it seems we could be in store for a general reduction in AI throughout the battle royale. Instead, we can expect to see them only in fortified Strongholds, if Metaphor’s insight holds true. Next up came an emoji of a box alongside a pill. We can only assume this is hinting at the return of both Loadout Drops and Perks, two staples that were noticeably absent from the first Warzone 2 session. Rather than calling in custom classes, players could instead purchase stronger weapons at new Buy Stations. And while that still might be the case when the sequel arrives, it appears we’ll also have an option to call in our own Loadouts in typical Warzone fashion. Exactly how much they’ll cost, and whether we’ll see any new limitations, is all up in the air for now. Last but not least, Metaphor shared emojis of a gift and a list. While not concrete, many are interpreting this to mean a return to classic looting systems opposed to the new, slower loot UI we saw in Warzone 2. When opening chests and looting areas in the sequel, players had to stop in their tracks to manually comb through a new menu. Moving forward, however, it seems we can expect the original fluidity to return when Warzone 2 arrives in full. Obviously, it’s worth taking all of this intel with a huge grain of salt for the time being. Given we’re still weeks out from launch, plans could always change as development continues. But should Activision confirm any of this, we’ll be sure to keep you updated right here.

Warzone 2 leak reveals possible release date and massive changes – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak reveals possible release date and massive changes ActivisionA notorious Call of Duty leaker has revealed what players can expect from the reported Warzone 2, including potential release dates and some of the major changes coming to the battle royale hit. Warzone has been a wild success for the Call of Duty franchise, becoming one of the most popular games in the world with a huge player base and online viewership. That’s why reports of a sequel, referred to only as Warzone 2, surprised many. While there are clearly issues to be fixed in the game, not many were expecting to see a full-blown sequel for a long time, if at all. Now, we’ve got more details and even a possible scheduled release date to look forward to. It was reported that Warzone 2 will be a “clean slate” for the game, though it wasn’t quite clear what exactly that meant, as well as the original reports suggesting a 2023 launch. Now, leaker Tom Henderson has given a little more clarity on the situation, what exactly Warzone 2 is, and what he’s heard regarding the potential release date. “It’s [Infinity Ward’s] Warzone map that is set to be a ‘clean slate’ for Warzone and was scheduled to release in Holiday ‘22,” he said on January 27. “‘Clean slate’ means starting again, scrapping everything like weapons, operators, etc.” If you didn’t watch the stream, here’s what I’ve heard on Warzone 2. It’s IW’s Warzone map that is set to be a “”clean slate”” for Warzone and was scheduled to release in Holiday 22. “”Clean slate”” meaning starting again, scrapping everything like weapons, operators etc. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) January 27, 2022 He continued: “This map was last mentioned to release in Holiday ‘22 just 6 weeks ago, indicating things are being shaken up if this is the ‘Warzone 2’ that was being referenced…” Finally, he calmed the concerns of those who love Warzone as it is, saying that “legacy Warzone will still remain, but Warzone 2 is coming.” This map was last mentioned to release in Holiday 22 just 6 weeks ago, indicating things are being shaken up if this is the “Warzone 2” that was being referenced in the Bloomberg report. Legacy Warzone will still remain, but Warzone 2 is coming. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) January 27, 2022 In essence, Warzone 2 is likely going to be a brand new CoD game, following in the same vein as Warzone but in a completely new way, similar to the annual multiplayer releases. It will be interesting to see how exactly this plays out, especially if the planned Holiday 2022 release date is stuck by. In that case, it might not be long before we get the chance to play an entirely new Warzone experience.

Warzone 2 leak reveals long awaited Plunder game mode – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak reveals long awaited Plunder game mode ActivisionA Warzone 2 leak showcased footage of gameplay elements from Plunder, sparking rumors of a potential return. In early January, a video showcasing map icons previously used in Plunder made its rounds on social media. The fan-favorite game mode originated in Warzone 1 and provided a unique spin on the usual battle royale formula. Instead of fighting to be the last team standing, players competed in a race to earn $2 million first by killing enemies, looting crates, and completing contracts. Plunder played similarly to Warzone 2’s new DMZ mode, allowing players to roam the map without the confines of a closing circle. Community members have been begging for the fan-favorite game mode to return ever since the developers controversially removed it during WZ1 Season 4 Reloaded. Warzone 2 leak showcases Plunder gameplay On February 6, CoD leaker CODSploitzimgs shared a video of an operator standing somewhere on Al Mazrah. In the bottom left of the screen, there is a money indicator that looks very close to what we saw in Plunder. Community members pleaded with the developers to finally add back the game mode. One player responded, “I hope that means Plunder releases in Season 2 Reloaded or Season 3 at least.” A second user added, “please say Plunder will release in Season 2.” Warzone 2’s second season begins on February 15. Infinity Ward gave a brief look at what’s coming, including a new Resurgence map, 1v1 Gulag, and an overhaul to the game’s looting system. On February 8, the full season 2 announcement blog reveals everything coming to the battle royale sequel in the upcoming season. While fans will be on the edge of their seats in anticipation of a Plunder announcement, fans of the game mode should consider trying DMZ. The looter-shooter provides a refreshing change of pace, similar to what Plunder originally achieved.

Warzone 2 leak reveals Loadout Drops return with one major change – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak reveals Loadout Drops return with one major change ActivisionA new Warzone 2 leak appears to prove that custom Loadouts will be returning, giving players the chance to adjust and experiment with various weapons, Perks, and equipment. However, there is one major change. A Warzone 2 Custom Loadouts leak has seemingly revealed that the iconic feature will be available in the upcoming BR game. This news comes after the developers had removed Loadouts, as evidenced during the Call of Duty Next event, a move that proved controversial amongst both casual and pro players. After all, it’s Warzone’s custom Loadouts that help to distinguish the game from other battle royale titles. Not only does it give players a lot more choice, but it can also lead to some incredibly exciting weapon metas and playstyles forming. While custom Loadouts were completely removed during the early build of Warzone 2, new images have finally given us a glimpse of how this feature could look. Warzone 2 custom Loadout leak The leak comes via a Tweet published by Z League, a skill-based tournament platform that uploaded screenshots of Warzone 2’s custom Loadouts. In the images, we get to see both how both the Loadout drop screen looks and the interface when players interact with it. While Warzone’s 2 Loadout drops look identical to the original game, there is apparently set to be one major difference. According to renowned Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostOfHope, Warzone 2 Loadouts will be a free world drop, meaning that players won’t be able to purchase them. If this news is true, then we expect there to be plenty of competition when it comes to securing your very own prized weapons. This is obviously a huge change from the original Warzone, where players can just purchase a custom Loadout drop from a nearby Buy Station once they have the appropriate funds. Of course, like all leaks, this news should be taken with a grain of salt. We’ll be sure to update this section once Activisision gives official information. In the meantime, be sure to check out our CoD page for all the latest news and updates.

Warzone 2 leak reveals Highrise return, circle changes & more – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak reveals Highrise return, circle changes & more ActivisionWarzone streamer Metaphor revealed new details about Warzone 2, including Highrise, no more gas, and more. Leaked Internal Activision Blizzard documents pointed toward a November 16 release date for Warzone 2. We are still months away from getting our hands on Warzone’s much-anticipated sequel, but leaks have sprinkled bits and pieces of information. In August, Metaphor claimed, “I have seen gameplay of Multiplayer/DMZ/ Warzone 2 and can confirm it looks gorgeous visually. The buildings are detailed on the inside better, and the movement is more grounded.” Metaphor divulged more information, revealing AI bots, Highrise’s return, storm changes, and other fundamental gameplay features. It is worth noting that all leaks are unconfirmed and must be taken with a pinch of salt. Warzone 2 leak reveals new gameplay details Metaphor Tweeted a laundry list of new features coming to Warzone 2. One that immediately catches the eye is the gas being replaced by a dust storm. Gas has been a Warzone staple since launch, and players finally just received a long-awaited feature to toggle gas masks on and off. Fifakill made an extraordinary play in the storm to win the $100,000 World Series of Warzone 2022 Solo Yolo event, but that feat may not be possible in Warzone 2. Modern warfare 2’s reveal trailer in June hinted at the fan-favorite original MW2 map Highrise returning. Metaphor says that the helicopter from Highrise would be usable, seemingly confirming the original screenshots. Mark Grigsby, Animation Director at Infinity Ward, previously confirmed that NPCs will “provide an interesting and engaging experience” for Call of Duty players.” Different-sized backpacks are a new piece of information and have the potential to shake up Warzone 2’s meta. The streamer hinted at container-based looting and floor loot but did not mention loadout drops. Call of Duty’s next significant news drop will be Call of Duty Next on September 15.

Warzone 2 leak reveals first image of new map – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak reveals first image of new map ActivisionA Warzone 2 leak gave fans a very early look at what fans can expect from the upcoming new map, and it may be coming sooner than expected. We have already received a new environment in Warzone 2, as Ashika Island joined the fold at the launch of Season 2. Community members praised the Japanese-themed map, but it hasn’t necessarily reached the same highs as WZ1’s Rebirth Island. Ashika Island was the first new Resurgence map since Fortunes Keep, which launched In June 2022. Following a similar timeline, WZ2 players expect at least one new environment to explore before CoD 2023 releases. Warzone 2 Vondel map image leaks In April, prominent CoD leakers ‘TaskForceLeak’ revealed that the next Warzone 2 environment is called Vondel, a Resurgence map set in the Netherlands. The datamine didn’t unearth an expected release date, but rumors intensified on May 10. A leak unveiled the first image of Vondel. CharlieIntel confirmed that the Tweet was deleted because of DMCA. There isn’t a whole lot to glean from the unfinished image. However, the map appears to take place in an urban setting. There is a residential area and a windmill next to a river. This would provide a much different experience than the desert landscape of Al Mazrah. CharlieIntel added flames to the fire by claiming: “Vondel is not the Warzone map for this fall, it’s releasing sooner.” Warzone 2 maps usually launch at the start of a new season, based on precedent from previous releases. The next chance for Activision to release Vondel would be Season 4, which is expected to begin on June 14, 2023. We will provide an update when Activision provides more insight into the battle royale sequel’s latest sandbox.

Warzone 2 leak pinpoints location of new Resurgence map now in development – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak pinpoints location of new Resurgence map now in development ActivisionAnother new Resurgence map appears to be in active development already as fresh Warzone 2 leaks pulled from the Season 3 update have revealed a name and location for the next battleground. With Warzone 2 Season 3 now upon us, fans are jumping right in and getting familiar with all the new content and gameplay changes. From sweeping weapon buffs and nerfs to a number of new features both in and out of the game, for better or worse, there’s plenty for the community to digest. Yet even with an abundance of information, more still is now slipping through the cracks. Having dug through the code contained within the latest update, dataminers have seemingly uncovered both the name and location of what they claim is the next Warzone 2 map. On the horizon is yet another Resurgence-sized map, the reports indicate, and this time, fans are set to drop into an entirely new location, as leaked strings suggest the next theatre of war is set in the Netherlands. Originally codenames ‘Delta,’ according to prominent CoD insiders ‘TaskForceLeak,’ the next Warzone 2 map now has an official name of ‘Vondel,’ they claim. “Set in the Netherlands, it is a new Resurgence map,” the account shared on April 12. Obviously, it’s worth taking this information with a grain of salt for the time being, as no further details around Vondel have yet been revealed. Activision is yet to tease the possibility of another Resurgence-map, so if there is indeed a new one in the works, it’s likely still a ways off. Exactly how big this Netherlands-based map might be, remains unclear. Though given it’s supposedly being built from the ground up with Resurgence in mind, we can likely expect another bite-sized battle royale map akin to Rebirth Island and Ashika Island. With Season 3 only just going live on April 12, new content is likely to soak up the spotlight for the next few weeks. But rest assured, we’ll keep our eyes peeled and update you hear as any further Vondel details emerge.

Warzone 2 leak claims second map like Rebirth Island is in development – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak claims second map like Rebirth Island is in development Rebirth Island provides a nice change of pace for Warzone players providing fast and fun matches — and it looks as though Warzone 2 may be receiving a similar second map. Rebirth Island was first introduced in 2o20 as part of Season 1 for Black Ops Cold War. The mode has been a hit since its initial release, and fans of the mode will be relieved to know that a similar-sized map may be in development for Warzone 2. Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson hinted that a second map for Warzone 2 “is well into development.” Leak: Second map coming in Warzone 2 Henderson tweeted that “a second Warzone 2 map, similar in size to Rebirth island is in development.” Henderson cited a source that said, “the map was visible in the menu of the game, but the curator had stated that this map is currently in early development and was not available to play for that session.” A second Warzone 2 map, similar in size to Rebirth Island is in development. https://t.co/vuS6vG9JYv— Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) May 31, 2022 Based on the release date of Rebirth Island, Henderson believes that the second map may release in the second year of Modern Warfare 2’s cycle. It is yet to be confirmed whether or not Warzone 2 will be released on the same date as Modern Warfare 2. The original Warzone came five months after Modern Warfare was released. Warzone 2 may not follow the same timeline according to Henderson. One source told Henderson, “during a company-wide meeting earlier this year, Warzone 2 was currently set for a couple of months after MW2.” Henderson also made it clear that the original Warzone will still be playable once the battle royale’s sequel is released, “but support for the game will seemingly dwindle.”

Warzone 2 leak claims Pro Perks from original Modern Warfare 2 are returning – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak claims Pro Perks from original Modern Warfare 2 are returning ActivisionA new leak has hinted at the return of Pro Perks in Warzone 2, over a decade after they first featured in the original Modern Warfare 2 game in 2009. The upcoming Call of Duty title has been confirmed to be called Modern Warfare 2, the same as the groundbreaking FPS that brought so many fans into the franchise all those years ago. One unique feature that the original MW2 introduced to Call of Duty was Pro levels of Perks, providing an upgraded version of said perk for completing certain challenges. While Pro Perks only stayed in Call of Duty for a couple more years, they look set to be making a comeback. According to popular CoD leaker Tom Henderson, Warzone 2 will introduce (and re-introduce) a number of new features to the Call of Duty battle royale, and Pro Perks look set to be one of the most popular. While it’s not set in stone yet, Henderson said the following: “Pro Perks are obtainable by looting Strongholds [guarded locations with objectives within] and although some Pro Perks were on pre-determined classes during the recent Warzone 2 playtests, it’s not entirely clear whether or not Pro Perks will be able to be used on your Loadout as you might need to loot and use them in order to get an extra edge.” This suggests that Pro Perks may be lootable items, rather than loadout options, which would definitely add another layer of gameplay to Warzone 2 in comparison to the current title. This news comes shortly after Henderson also leaked the full list of locations and POIs in the Warzone 2 map, which included four classic MW2 maps: Afghan, Terminal, Highrise, and Quarry. As always, you’ll have to take these leaks with a pinch of salt — after all, nothing is confirmed until Activision and the developers say so. That said, with the leaks starting to build up, it’s certainly not too early to start getting excited.

Warzone 2 leak claims new map is “more like Blackout” than Verdansk or Caldera – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak claims new map is “more like Blackout” than Verdansk or Caldera ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker has said that the new map for Warzone 2 looks more like the former Call of Duty battle royale title Blackout than a regular Warzone map. Blackout came out in 2018 alongside Black Ops 4 and, while it was fairly popular among players, didn’t reach anywhere near the heights that Warzone hit after it was released 18 months later. The Black Ops-themed battle royale utilized POIs of several classic Call of Duty maps laid across a huge island, including Nuketown Island, Array, and Construction Site, a take on Modern Warfare 3 map Hardhat. While it’s still early days for Warzone 2, and not much is known about the game at all – despite the fact that we should expect it around the same time as Modern Warfare 2 – the leaks are starting to come in. One of the biggest talking points for Warzone 2, and the BR in general, is the map. Verdansk was incredibly popular with Warzone players, and while there were calls to bring a new map to the game, Caldera has received a mixed reception. While many players have called for Verdansk to return for Warzone 2, it sounds like they might be getting something completely different. According to leaker Tom Henderson, the upcoming Warzone 2 map will be more similar to something from Blackout than Verdansk or Caldera, particularly due to its layout. To be honest, the new Warzone 2 map looks more like Blackout than it does Warzone in terms of its layout. It’s going to be interesting to see how all of this plays out. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) May 18, 2022 It’s unclear how exactly this would look in practice, with no signs yet as to how the map could look, but this will be welcome news to those players who enjoyed the way Blackout played. If it does take inspiration from Blackout, though, and use classic maps as locations and POIs on the map, it would be interesting to see what Modern Warfare locations they could go with.

Warzone 2 leak claims deadly Nuke killstreak will be added – Dexerto
Warzone 2 leak claims deadly Nuke killstreak will be added ActivisionIf you are a Call of Duty Veteran, you would be lying if you haven’t at least tried to go on a Nuke run. For those still hunting their first one, leaks claim the legendary killstreak is coming to Warzone 2. Warzone 2 launches on November 16 alongside Modern Warfare 2 Season 1. Activision revealed a roadmap for the upcoming battle royale title and also discussed new features, such as Assimilation and Interrogation. Activision has kept a tight lip about most of Warzone 2’s secrets, but some leaks have snuck through the cracks. The latest information spill claims the Tactical Nuke killstreak is coming to Warzone 2. Is the Tactical Nuke killstreak coming to Modern Warfare 2? The Tactical Nuke first appeared in Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and last appeared in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Initially, players needed just 25 kills, but Modern Warfare 2019 required 30 kills to earn the elusive killstreak. However, such a game-ending killstreak has not yet been seen in the battle royale spinoff, Warzone. According to Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope that is set to change. The GhostofHope set off a firestorm with a short tweet reading, “you can get a nuke in Warzone 2.0.” Modern Warfare 2019’s iteration killed every enemy, engulfed all players’ screen with a white screen, and automatically ended the match. Its unclear how a game ending killstreak would transfer over to Warzone 2, and fans were shocked when they saw the leak. One user responded, “that sounds terrifying.” A second player added, “so you’re saying if I get 30 kills, I can just kill the entire lobby.” Getting 30 straight kills in a Warzone match will be no easy task. Everything also depends on how many players will be in a Warzone 2 lobby. Caldera supported 150 players at once, but fans demanded an increase to 200. As of right now, nothing has been confirmed so take this leak with a grain of salt. We will provide an update when we learn more about what killstreaks are coming to Warzone 2 and whether they include the Nuke.

Warzone 2 release date revealed in Activision documents leak – Dexerto
Warzone 2 release date revealed in Activision documents leak ActivisionAn internal document revealed release dates for several upcoming Activision and Blizzard projects, including an official release date for Warzone 2. Details have been few and far between for the upcoming Warzone sequel. We know that Warzone 2 is being built from the “ground up using a new engine,” and swimming will be a critical new feature. It was also revealed that this new arrival would wipe the slate clean with all new systems, content, and progression. The original game will continue as a “separate experience.” On May 18, Tom Henderson claimed via eXputer that he had been able to verify the full Warzone 2 map layout and now it appears we may finally know the official release date after an internal leak. World of Warcraft news site reveals Warzone 2 release date Wowhead, a World of Warcraft news site, shared internal documents on social media that seem to confirm release dates for several massive Activision and Blizzard projects. For Warzone 2, that date looks to be November 16, confirming the developers’ promise that the game would be arriving this year. For anyone who missed it, Activision previously stated that “fans everywhere can look forward to a new Warzone 2.0 experience releasing this year, the evolution in Battle Royale with a brand-new play space.” Of course, Modern Warfare 2 officially launches on October 28, which means players will have a full three weeks of grinding multiplayer for weapon unlocks before jumping into the much-anticipated sequel. All leaks must be taken with a pinch of salt, but this news will surely excite Warzone fans all over the globe.

Warzone 2 just disabled Dead Silence & Battle Rage field upgrades – Dexerto
Warzone 2 just disabled Dead Silence & Battle Rage field upgrades ActivisionRaven Software has announced the Dead Silence and Battle Rage field upgrades have been temporarily disabled in Warzone 2. Bugs and server stability issues plagued Warzone 2’s opening few weeks. Activision finally addressed PC crashing issues on December 1, but several game-breaking bugs keep the battle royale from firing on all cylinders. Players discovered an exploit, awarding unlimited UAVs, and the developers shut down most wanted contracts because of an infinite XP glitch. Community members also unearthed an unbelievable exploit, giving players max money. New issues forced the developers to take action once again. Dead Silence and Battle Rage are popular Modern Warfare 2 field upgrades, but players will have to find alternatives while the developers investigate an issue. Dead Silence & Battle rage temporarily removed from Warzone 2 Raven Software announced on December 2, “We have temporarily disabled Battle Rage and Dead Silence in-game while we investigate an issue.” Bomb drones and the play again button are also currently disabled as the developers resolve hiccups. Players criticized Modern Warfare 2’s loud footstep audio, and the complaints carried over to Warzone 2. The developers released an update reverting audio back to a stable state, but temporarily losing dead silence is bound to ruffle some feathers. What are Dead Silence and Battle Rage? Dead Silence is a field upgrade that allows players to silence their movements and footsteps for a short period of time. The ability comes in handy when pushing an enemy or trying to sneak around a building without being noticed. Battle Rage is a new Modern Warfare 2 field upgrade. The ability truly shines in Warzone 2, giving players a brief adrenaline rush of HP regeneration, resistance to tactical equipment, and temporarily enabling infinite tactical sprint. Losing both valuable field upgrades hurts, but this may provide players an opportunity to try out new abilities players may have avoided otherwise. All live issues are posted on Raven Software’s Trello board.

Warzone 2 July 24 update patch notes: Cronen Squall, X13 Auto, akimbo Basilisk nerfs, more – Dexerto
Warzone 2 July 24 update patch notes: Cronen Squall, X13 Auto, akimbo Basilisk nerfs, more Warzone 2 released the full July 24 patch notes – which included several weapon adjustments and bug fixes. Warzone 2 has unveiled another patch that has nerfed popular weapons such as X13, Basilisk, and the Cronen Squall. The featured weapon changes include decreasing the Cronen Squall and X13’s Maximum Damage. Warzone 2 also posted a patch on July 17 – which addressed bugs relating to Armor Plates and Temp V. Now, the title has made further adjustments for many weapons and attachment options. Here are all the changes coming in the July 24 update. Cronen Squall nerfs Despite the fact that the Cronen Squall got some nerfs recently, it has still been one of the best long-range auto weapons in the game. Activision is taking an even bigger swing at the Cronen Squall’s power this time, nerfing the weapon’s max damage, it’s close-range and mid-range damage, and the damage multipliers for headshots among other changes. Hopefully, these changes will finally allow some other ARs to thrive. X13 Auto nerfs The X13 Auto pistols have stood out among the rest of the pack for their ridiculous time-to-kill and versatility. That high TTK has drawn the attention of the developers, who took down the weapon’s maximum damage as well as implemented a bug fix that elevated it’s overall damage. Akimbo Basilisk nerfs Maybe the best automatic pistols in Warzone, the akimbo Basilisk setup is one of the best for mowing down enemies. Or, rather, was. Activision is nerfing the guns’ full damage profile so that they function closer to how they were intially intended to. Warzone 2 is “so bad” players are thanking the devs for helping kick their addiction – Dexerto
Warzone 2 is “so bad” players are thanking the devs for helping kick their addiction ActivisionWarzone 2 addicts are quitting the game in droves, citing battle royale’s multiple issues as enough of a reason to finally kick their CoD dependency. It’s no secret that video games can be addictive, but when it comes to Warzone, the state of the game has proven to be too much for some players who were once obsessed with it. In recent weeks, drama involving Warzone 2 has ramped up considerably, especially as datamines revealed that Season 2 of it and Modern Warfare 2 had been delayed. Other issues such as “skill-based hit reg” and divisible bugs have resulted in players allegedly leaving Warzone 2 in droves, but that may not be a bad thing for those wanting to move on from the controversial BR. Warzone 2 addicts thank devs for curing their game addiction In a post making rounds on Reddit, users are sending their support to the developers for making Warzone 2 “so bad” that it’s actually cured their “crippling addiction” to the game. “One of my friends started working out, another started doing woodworking. I’m learning guitar,” another user remarked. “We all used to just play Warzone every night but look at us now! Thanks, Infinity Ward for ruining my favorite gaming franchise.” “Yeah I actually have been a bit more productive since they removed Rebirth and FK,” another commented. “My relationship has improved and I am enjoying spending more time with my partner. It’s been a blessing in disguise,” someone else said. Whether or not the devs can recapture the fanbase remains to be seen, but it’s refreshing to see such positivity about the bad state of a game for once.

Warzone 2 is reusing classic Warzone 1 skins and players are furious – Dexerto
Warzone 2 is reusing classic Warzone 1 skins and players are furious Activision is selling recolored skins from older Call of Duty games in Warzone 2 and it has infuriated the community. Since Season 3 began Activision has added a whole host of new cosmetics to Warzone 2, with the premium BlackCell battle pass and bundles that the community has labeled pay to win. Many Warzone 2 players were unhappy with these changes and now another new monetization scheme has been implemented. This time around the Call of Duty publisher is trying to sell players recolored skins from the original Modern Warfare reboot. Warzone 2 sells full-price recolored skins from Modern Warfare On April 18, a new bundle was added to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Titled Tracer Pack: Dr. Kushlov, the cannabis-themed bundle costs 2,400 COD Points and reuses assets from the previous Modern Warfare. In the bundle, there is a Kastov 762 variant called the Vaporizer which is a reskin of Modern Warfare’s Resonant, an AK-47 that fired electric bullets. Instead of electricity, the Vaporizer fires green tracers and leaves behind a Smoke Puff death effect. Outside of the recolored variant, tracers, and new death effect, the Vaporizer is largely identical to the Resonant. The gun model itself is extremely similar even utilizing renamed versions of the same barrel and magazine attachment. The Dr. Kushlov bundle also contains an operator skin for Gromsko that reuses assets from Bale’s Dr. Karlov skin featured in Modern Warfare. Plus the Classic Ghost Pack is currently being sold for 2,400 COD Points with the operator skins included being recolors of previously sold items. Call of Duty YouTuber HunterTV replied questioning the inconsistencies: “I don’t understand how they couldn’t transfer bundles from MW2019 when tons of blueprints, skins, assets, and huge structures transferred over with no problem.” Warzone streamer StoneMountain64 poked fun at the situation, simply saying: “All the fun of buying the same skin again,” with a laughing emoji attached. An upset user responding on Reddit made their views on selling recolored items clear: “It’s crazy how much stuff is being taken from the last MW game and being resold to people. It is so f**king scummy. A lot of bundles lately are made up of 80% stuff that people bought 2-3 years ago.” Recoloring skins is something that’s happened in other battle royales, such as Apex Legends, but fans haven’t been quite as outraged over there. So, we’ll have to wait and see if anything changes on the CoD side.

Warzone 2 is finally getting a ranked mode – Dexerto
Warzone 2 is finally getting a ranked mode ActivisionIt has been confirmed that Warzone 2 will be getting a fully-fledged ranked mode at some point in the future, answering the prayers of many long-time players, streamers, and pros. A ranked mode is almost essential in most modern-day multiplayer games, as players look to progress through the ranks and fight to earn the highest accolades, proving themselves to peers and competitors alike. While a ranked mode has never been a guarantee in Call of Duty games, much to the chagrin of competitive players, it has been present here and there in multiplayer over the years. It’s never been in Warzone, however, with players clamoring for it dating back to the game’s launch in March 2020. In fact, many top streamers, such as NICKMERCS, have cited it as a reason for leaving Warzone behind and switching to other titles such as Apex Legends. Warzone 2 ranked mode confirmed Now, though, it’s finally coming, as confirmed in a tweet from official Call of Duty accounts on February 15. While ranked has already been well-received by MW2 players and those looking to emulate the best Call of Duty League players, the addition of Warzone 2 ranked has been kept well under wraps. The news was confirmed on the day of the Season 2 update, but the integration of ranked itself isn’t coming in Season 2, with a note simply stating that Ranked Play is coming in “Season 3 and beyond.” Whether that means it will be coming in Season 3 or further down the line remains to be seen but, for now, this will definitely give players something to look forward to as they attempt to grind toward the upper echelons of competitive Warzone play.

Warzone 2 invisibility glitch makes enemies disappear but still able to shoot – Dexerto
Warzone 2 invisibility glitch makes enemies disappear but still able to shoot Activision BlizzardAn invisibility glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 allows enemies to keep shooting after presumably being killed. It’s safe to say Warzone 2 is littered with glitches, both big and small, though players can reasonably sidestep some of the minor issues. Larger, game-breaking bugs continue to wreak havoc, however. As such, some users have found themselves shadowbanned under suspicious circumstances. God Mode glitches that turn players invincible have also ruined many games. And now a new invisibility bug has reared its head in-game, seemingly spawned whenever one player strikes their enemy with a car. A new invisibility glitch in Warzone 2 takes players by surprise On more than one occasion, content creator Geeky Pastimes encountered a specific “invisible player glitch.” The YouTuber shared gameplay footage of one instance wherein they hit an enemy with their vehicle, who then appears dead on-screen, though the game fails to confirm the kill. Seconds later, the enemy reappears and takes out Geeky Pastimes in an instant. The problem is, the YouTuber never saw their foe coming. “He was invisible on my screen,” the streamer said just as the killcam showed another perspective of the presumably dead opponent sprinting through the front door. A few other Warzone 2 players chimed in to say they’ve recently experienced a similar error. Content creator Mimosa noted, “this happened to me yesterday, and my teammates didn’t believe me.” Another Twitter user pointed out how the killcam depicted Geeky Pastimes’ car further downhill instead of parked against the house. This Warzone 2 invisibility glitch seems to have many layers. All players can do is hope that a fix will go live sometime in the near future.

Warzone 2 invisibility glitch makes enemies impossible to kill – Dexerto
Warzone 2 invisibility glitch makes enemies impossible to kill ActivisionTaking down an enemy in Warzone 2 is hard enough, and it may as well be impossible when they are invisible. Unfortunately, bugs and Warzone 2 go hand in hand. These hiccups range from minuscule and comical, to infuriating and game breaking. Most recently, players discovered a bug that knocks players in the pre-game lobby and kept them down as the game started. Adding insult to injury, community members also unearthed an issue in the gulag, which allowed competitors to run towards their opponent before a match even started. In what’s devolved into a long laundry list of complaints, invisible players plague Warzone 2 matches. Warzone 2 community member exposes invisible enemy glitch A frustrated WZ2 player posted a clip of an invisible enemy on Reddit and asked: “How are we five months into this game and there’s still an invisibility glitch?” The player got downed from an enemy, but you never saw an enemy from their perspective. However, in the killcam it showed an enemy, causing a wave of confusion in the comment section. Some community members questioned if it is hacking or just a bug. ” I figured if that dude isn’t cheating, he probably doesn’t know he’s invisible to other people.” Other players argued if it was hacking, the player would have been killed earlier in what became a prolonged engagement. A second user added: “this happened to me twice recently, running up the stairs only to turn around and get beamed from nothing.” The bug could boil down to a number of Warzone 2 server related issues, and community members want an answer after months of unclarity.

Warzone 2 Interrogation guide: How to interrogate enemies in Battle Royale and DMZ – Dexerto
Warzone 2 Interrogation guide: How to interrogate enemies in Battle Royale and DMZ ActivisionInterrogation is a new way of getting intel on enemy locations in Warzone 2. So, here’s a handy guide for you on how to interrogate enemies in Battle Royale and DMZ. Warzone 2 will follow in the footsteps of its sequel, with an aim to set a legacy of its own. This means a slew of new and advanced mechanics and features will be present for the players to use and take advantage of. One of these new features is the ability to interrogate enemies for information. Gaining information is key for surviving in a battle royale game like Warzone 2. When the same ability gets an upgrade where you can interrogate enemies for more information about their teammates’ live location, things get even more exciting. If you’re wondering how to interrogate enemies in Warzone 2, our handy guide has everything you need to know. How to interrogate enemies in Warzone 2? For interrogating enemies in squad-based modes of Warzone 2, the first and foremost thing you need to do is knock one player from the enemy team. This works best if the team you’re engaging with is in close proximity. After that, you need to make sure that the rest of their teammates are not around, or at least some distance away. This will give you enough time to approach the downed enemy and interrogate them for intel. Once you are in close proximity to the downed player, press the button that appears on the screen to start the interrogation process. The interrogation animation will make your character hold a knife down the player’s throat and scan the location of the other members on a cell phone. As soon as the animation is complete, your team will get notified of the locations of the other members on the mini-map. You will also be able to see the outline of their bodies highlighted in real-time. The way this system works is very similar to that of Caveira from Rainbow Six Siege. If you are familiar with her ability, using the same in Warzone 2 will be a cakewalk for you. So, there you have it — that’s a way of interrogating enemies for intel in Warzone 2. Make sure you check out our Call of Duty page for all the latest news and guides.

Crazy Warzone 2 instant death location found on new Al Mazrah map – Dexerto
Crazy Warzone 2 instant death location found on new Al Mazrah map Activision BlizzardWhile running around Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map, one player stumbled across a weird bug that turned the floor into an instant death trap. Most online games struggle out of the gate with a host of issues, including everything from performance hiccups and glitches to server troubles and content-related concerns. Thus far, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has proven to be no different. Shortly after the title initially went live, a multitude of players reported crashing errors in the DMZ mode. Warzone 2’s broken Social menu has also complicated the usually simple act of inviting friends. Apparently, the battle royale’s map is causing its fair share of problems, as well. Beware of instant death on Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map “The floor here is not made of floor,” reads a caption from Redditor Infusive, who shared gameplay footage of a wild Warzone 2 glitch they experienced. In the brief video, the player navigates the Al Mazrah map normally – head on a swivel, keeping an eye out for nearby enemies. When walking backward near an abandoned garage, however, the Reddit user suddenly finds themselves falling through the ground. It doesn’t take but a few seconds for the insta-death to set in, thus marking the player for a fate they had no control over. It’s most certainly an unfortunate way to go, but there does exist one silver lining. As another Redditor noted in the replies, at least falling through the floor results in immediate death, rather than allowing players to run around and kill others without consequence. Either Way, this bizarre instant death bug is one that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 users will want Infinity Ward to fix as soon as possible. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

Warzone 2: How to use Reinforcement Flares to redeploy teammates – Dexerto
Warzone 2: How to use Reinforcement Flares to redeploy teammates ActivisionWarzone 2’s Season 4 patch notes have finally arrived and they’ve provided details about a bunch of new content coming to the battle royale game over the next month. Alongside more info about the new Resurgence map, Vondel, the notes also break down new modes, weapons, and much more coming to Warzone 2 in Season 4. One of those new elements is a Field Upgrade called Reinforcement Flares, which will allow players to redeploy eliminated teammates to get them back into the fray. Here’s everything Warzone 2 fans need to know about this new Field Upgrade in Season 4. How to use Reinforcement Flares First things first, Reinforcement Flares are a new Field Upgrade that, when used, allows a player to redeploy a randomly selected Squadmate back into the battle. Like other Field Upgrades, players on console simply need to press both bumpers (L1+R1/LB+RB) at the same time or X on mouse and keyboard. Like other Field Upgrades in Warzone, players must first either find Reinforcement Flares via a loot cache or randomly as Ground Loot. However, it’s important to note that Reinforcement Flares can only be found on Vondel, as it’s tied to the new Assault on Vondel event. Alternatively, you can purchase Reinforcement Flares at any Buy Station, but at the time of writing, it’s unclear just how much they will cost. Considering this item allows a complete revive, it will likely cost a good bit of Cash. How to unlock Reinforcement Flares Unlocking the Reinforcement Flare is simple enough, though again, it can only be done by playing on Vondel. According to Season 4’s official patch notes, players will be able to unlock this new Field Upgrade by playing the Assault on Vondel limited-time event. Completing a Community Challenge tied to Assualt on Vondel will unlock the Reinforcement Flares. Completing these community challenges will also unlock Taxi Boats, Trams, Favorite Supply Boxes, and the new Melee Weapon: Tonfa. And there you have it! How to get a Nuke on Vondel in Warzone 2 with Champion’s Quest – Dexerto
How to get a Nuke on Vondel in Warzone 2 with Champion’s Quest ActivisionWarzone 2’s Vondel map has been missing something since its debut, and now it’s on the way. Let’s show you how to earn a Nuke in Vondel and activate the M.G.B. First introduced in Warzone 2 Season 4, Vondel is the series’s latest battle royale map. Following in the footsteps of Verdansk, Caldera, and Al Mazrah, Vondel offers players another vast, open map to compete in. One of the biggest differences between itself and its Al Mazrah counterpart is the lack of a Nuke opportunity – otherwise known as the Champion’s Quest. Warzone 2 introduced this to give players a new challenge to take on in the game. It proved to be very popular and the player base has been wanting it for Vondel too. We’ve got everything you need to know to pull off this brutally difficult feat. Warzone 2 hotfix addresses Ultimate Perk issues including High Alert bug – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hotfix addresses Ultimate Perk issues including High Alert bug ActivisionWarzone 2’s latest hotfix just deployed on January 10 as Raven Software looked to stamp out any further Ultimate Perk issues, including arguably the most prevalent, the High Alert bug. With the release of Warzone 2 came an entirely new Perk system. Rather than simply picking and running with your three preferred Perks like in the original CoD BR, the sequel flipped this trope on its head with a unique Perk Package system. Here, the most powerful Perks, referred to as Ultimate Perks, are time-gated. This means you have to stay alive for a certain amount of time before gaining their effect. However, not all went to plan with this controversial system. Alongside a steady wave of backlash for the change in design, the fact Ultimate Perks were often buggy only added to Raven Software’s headaches. Now a few months removed from launch and an update has been pushed to hopefully alleviate most of these problems, as the latest hotfix targeted Ultimate Perks on the whole. The most recent hotfix rolled out on all platforms on January 10. Its sole focus being Ultimate Perks. Included under that umbrella and specified on social media was arguably the most problematic of them all, High Alert. High Alert is designed to pulse when enemies are in your field of view. A subtle visual indicator to give you the edge in a gunfight if you happen to spot an opposing player in the distance. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case in recent weeks as the Ultimate Perk failed to do exactly that. Much like how it failed to work properly in earlier intervals during Warzone 1 as well. Moving forward, this particular gripe should be a thing of the past as the latest Warzone 2 hotfix restored the Perk to its former power. Others in the Ultimate category like Ghost, Overclock, Survivor, and Birdseye should all now be functioning as intended too.

Warzone 2 hit registration glitch leaves players “shooting blanks” – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hit registration glitch leaves players “shooting blanks” ActivisionA Warzone 2 hit registration glitch is completely ruining gunfights again, leaving players shooting “blanks” and losing matches. Glitches in games are going to be found one way or another, either intentionally or by accident. Depending on what the glitch is, it could cost you the victory or put you at an advantage over other players. A problem has now reappeared in Warzone 2 where the player’s shots don’t register on the intended target. Warzone 2 hit reg glitch costs player the game Several issues have affected gameplay in the Call of Duty battle royale game, of late, including an airstrike bug and players crashing servers to prevent nukes. A video posted to Reddit on February 12 shows a new glitch that appears to happen at random. In the video, the player empties their entire magazine into an approaching enemy. However, the opponent’s shields never break as they sprint through the gunfire and win the fight. The reasons for the glitch or how to replicate it for testing are currently unknown and the issue is not on Raven Software’s trello board for reporting bugs. Other users on Reddit commented on their experiences, as one said: “I’ve had a couple of fights like this and I don’t think they were cheating. The same exact thing too unloaded a whole clip and didn’t even break blue armor even though it was clearly enough to down someone with full purple. “I think the game just breaks every now and then because teammates were able to down them.” Another user voiced their frustration, saying: “Definitely the worst clip I have seen when it comes to this. Did you miss any shots? Had a little situation yesterday but it was in multiplayer….stuff like this makes me think that there’s def a hit reg problem.” Warzone 2 players will be hoping they stop shooting blanks in the future and this issue will be resolved in a hotfix.

Warzone 2 hidden loot discovered underwater by Ninja & CouRage – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hidden loot discovered underwater by Ninja & CouRage Ninja, YouTube / ActivisionStreaming stars Ninja and CouRage have discovered Warzone 2 has some hidden loot underneath the surface on the Al Mazrah map. Modern Warfare 2’s weapon list has been integrated with the arrival of Warzone 2, meaning that the list of best loadouts has been shaken up once again. The game’s Season 1 update kicked things off on November 16 with a number of top streamers deciding to give the revamped Call of Duty battle royale a shot. Two of those were Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop – jumping in for a few games, and already they have made an interesting discovery. Warzone 2 secret loot discovered underwater One of the biggest mechanic shifts between the original BR game and Warzone 2 was the addition of swimming, meaning water is no longer a death sentence for players. Many members of the community were gearing up for some underwater battles, for that reason. Lucky for them, it appears hidden loot will be available in the depths as well. In a Twitch stream on November 16, the duo was looting up before CouRage took the plunge into a nearby water spot. Seconds later, he said: “What’s at the bottom of here?” Right at the bottom, there was a box with a number of items waiting to be claimed inside. “Oh my god, there’s a hidden loot catch at the bottom of here, with a free armor plate and precision airstrike on it.” This might have been something Warzone 2 players were expecting when they found out about new water features being integrated but served as a pleasant surprise on launch day. Fans will be hoping there are many other spots like this for them to loot from.

Warzone 2 player hijacks helicopter midair with James Bond-style stunt – Dexerto
Warzone 2 player hijacks helicopter midair with James Bond-style stunt Activision BlizzardA Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player shot a helicopter pilot out of the sky, then hijacked the vehicle midair in a wild James Bond-like stunt. Warzone players never fail to impress when it comes to pulling off unbelievable stunts in-game. For example, a Warzone Pacific user hijacked someone’s plane midair in a move that would impress Battlefield 4 highlight-makers. A few good plays in Warzone 2 have made the rounds since its launch last month, as well. However, some may find it hard to top the stunt that one Reddit user recently pulled on a whim. This Warzone 2 helicopter hijacking is one for the books Redditor drdewd recently posted a gameplay clip highlighting one of their Warzone 2 achievements. Apparently, accomplishing the feat made them feel like James Bond. It’s easy to see why. The video begins simply enough, with the player running across a rooftop to catch up with an enemy chopper. After a few well-placed shots, the Redditor downs the pilot and sends the helicopter careening to the ground. The helicopter never lands, though. Instead, the player manages to hijack the vehicle as it falls, a move that causes the game chat to erupt with excitement. Better still, James Bond’s classic theme music pops in at the perfect time in the edited clip below: “Bro been watching too many Battlefield clips,” one Redditor said of the Warzone 2 helicopter stunt. Several others were quick to call out the Battlefield comparisons, as well. The entire thread is filled with Warzone players applauding the clip and the inclusion of the 007 tune. Needless to say, this is one Call of Duty trick that many won’t soon forget.

Warzone 2’s heavy chopper finally deactivated after player outcry – Dexerto
Warzone 2’s heavy chopper finally deactivated after player outcry Activision BlizzardRaven Software is deactivating the heavy chopper in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, following complaints from users in recent days. The core issue with the chopper stems from many Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players abusing it for easy battle royale wins. Some have found that acquiring a heavy chopper early and waiting out the game midair makes exerting their authority as the match winds down incredibly simple. As players on the ground rally for control in the final circle, the heavy chopper pilot can pick them off with no problem. And since the helicopter is of the heavy variety, those on foot have a difficult time taking them out. It makes sense, then, that Warzone 2 players have grown frustrated with the vehicle’s constant use. Raven Software disables the heavy chopper in Warzone 2 In a post on its official Twitter page, Raven Software informed followers the battle royale’s heavy chopper has been disabled. Such a move allows the developers to focus on better balancing the vehicle for late-game skirmishes. At the time of writing, there is no hint of when exactly the heavy vehicle will return to Warzone 2. A quick look through the tweet’s replies suggests fans are pleased with this update. In response to the post, streamer TeePee wrote, “thank you for the quick fix on this.” Said professional Warzone player Santana, “rare W, keep going.” Several other users expressed their happiness at Raven Software’s quick response to the problem. And it’s especially good news on the heels of learning that the studio swiftly tackled the DMZ mode’s AI bot glitch with a much-needed patch.

Warzone 2 “hardest hitting” Taq-V build that downs people in 3 shots – Dexerto
Warzone 2 “hardest hitting” Taq-V build that downs people in 3 shots ActivisionWarzone 2 content creator Speros has unveiled the “hardest hitting” Taq-V build, with a loadout that can knock down opponents with only 3 shots to the chest. It goes to show how much of a smash hit the attachment and tuning system of Modern Warfare 2 (and Warzone 2.0 by extension) is among the player base when they keep one-upping each other while trying to break the game’s meta every single day. Battle rifles have not been a massively popular gun category in Warzone 2 so far, with many opting instead for an assault rifle, a submachine gun, or a light machine gun. But the Taq-V is proof that this category has a future in the meta of Warzone 2. Speros seems to believe this too and proclaims that the Taq-V can become the “hardest-hitting weapon” in the game with the right setup. Killer Taq-V loadout for Warzone 2 The full customization is as follows: Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Magazine: 50 Round Drum – Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – “Most fun I’ve had on this game is using this absolutely broken weapon,” Speros said when describing the build. “The 76 DMG headshot legit Thanos snap’s people. Hope y’all enjoy it.” Ideally, players interested in trying out this build for themselves in Warzone should back up their Taq-V primary with a shotgun, like the Bryson 800 “one-shot” loadout, or a submachine gun, like the Fennec, which shreds at close range.

Warzone 2 hackers can now crash entire lobbies to completely ruin games – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hackers can now crash entire lobbies to completely ruin games ActivisionWarzone 2’s anti-cheat has been hard at work in recent months making sure that hackers don’t get back to their Verdansk glory days, where every game was marred with cheaters ruining games. Now, though, the top cheat providers are finding new ways to disrupt their opponents’ fun. Those who were around for the early days of Verdansk will remember just how unbearable the game became at one point, as it felt like you were getting destroyed by hackers in almost every single game. It wouldn’t be unheard of to watch your kill cam and see your enemy watching you through a wall and then immediately beaming you in the head as soon as you popped out around it. Finally, after Ricochet anti-cheat was implemented, the number of cheaters dwindled massively, to the point where it’s hardly been a complaint at all for a large majority of players in Warzone 2. That doesn’t mean the hack providers aren’t hard at work, though, and they’re bringing all new options to the game, for those who can’t get their wins through fair skill. Now, players who want to use hacks are able to crash servers completely, kicking everyone from your lobby. Weirdly, the cheat doesn’t seem to serve any purpose for the cheater, other than to annoy others and ruin their games. While wins and stats in general aren’t tracked yet, it doesn’t look as though this will add a win to your tally, making it inherently pointless. Obviously, we will never condone hacking or installing cheating software for any video game. Not only will it ruin other’s games, but you’re simply just risking being banned permanently from the game.

Warzone 2 hackers are literally using ‘the Force’ to kill their opponents – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hackers are literally using ‘the Force’ to kill their opponents ActivisionWarzone 2 hackers are evolving, and with the recent hype around Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they’re now dropping their guns entirely and using the Force to ruin other people’s games. Ever since the Call of Duty battle royale title dropped in 2020, cheating has been a major problem within Warzone, and now Warzone 2. The influx of PC players from other titles meant it quickly became a hacker’s haven, with things getting so bad that Activision had to develop a whole new anti-cheat, RICOCHET, to try and fix the problem. While the anti-cheat has improved things, it isn’t perfect and some hackers still get through the net — but now they’re really starting to show off. We’ve seen cheats before that give players flying cars or let them walk up mountains as if they’re regular pathways, but this one has to be one of the wildest yet. Warzone 2 hackers using the Force from Star Wars On top of both wallhacks and aimbot, Warzone streamer Futives found a video of this unnamed player going one step further. Rather than abuse said cheats with one of the guns in the game, they instead dropped their weapons and appear to just be using their hands to fire at opponents. Futives and others joked that they had the Force, an energy field that provides the power for Jedi in the Star Wars saga. While hacking can never be condoned, there are plenty in the replies to this tweet, as well as others referencing it, that do at least find it somewhat funny. It’s especially interesting that these are still going when you consider that in February 2023, a popular cheat maker was charged to pay Activision $3m in damages due to the hacks they have provided thousands of users. Whether this type of hacking becomes more popular remains to be seen, but Activision will definitely want to get a grip on it before things get out of hand.

Warzone 2 hacker takes to the skies in an unstoppable flying boat – Dexerto
Warzone 2 hacker takes to the skies in an unstoppable flying boat ActivisionHackers have done it again. Just days into the release of Warzone 2 and we already have cheaters soaring through the skies in vehicles without wings or propellers. This time around, boats are taking to the air. Given Warzone’s history with hackers, we all knew it was only a matter of time until we saw similar cheats popping up in the CoD BR sequel. Now, just days after Warzone 2’s launch, we’re already getting repeats of some of the most iconic hacks from the original game. Back in September of 2021, popular Warzone streamer FaZe Kalei joked that she wanted to see hackers put “flying cars” in the game. Days later and her request was met. Hackers were able to commandeer grounded vehicles and somehow make them levitate, giving them free rein as to where they maneuvered. While this short-lived hack was swiftly removed from Verdansk, we saw a repeat of the hilarious issue when Caldera arrived. Players were once again cruising in the skies, firing down on unsuspecting targets below. Now, it appears the hack has come into focus once more. Barely a week removed from Warzone 2’s highly anticipated launch and we already have boats leaping from the seas and soaring through the sky. Reddit user ‘Co2Scorpick’ was among the first to come across this revitalized hack in the new BR. Playing through a match on November 24, they were hunted down by a magically levitating boat with a hacker onboard. The boat was able to rapidly change its course, adjusting altitude on the fly, excuse the pun. In the blink of an eye, they could reposition themselves, making the boat a near-impossible target to hit for those in the vicinity. It’s currently unclear just how they were able to transfer the iconic vehicle hack over to Warzone 2. But it’s certainly now possible for players to take non-aerial vehicles up high and catch everyone else in the lobby by surprise. Much like the first few instances, however, don’t expect this insane hack to be around for all too long. It’s more than likely developers at Activision will be on the case soon and looking to ground every vehicle in the very near future.

Warzone 2 guru unveils “zero recoil” TAQ V that kills faster than meta RPK – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils “zero recoil” TAQ V that kills faster than meta RPK ActivisionWarzone 2 guru Metaphor has unveiled his “zero recoil” TAQ V build, which he claims outperforms the meta RPK LMG. Warzone 2’s meta continues to change and evolve ahead of Season Two. We’ve seen the rapid rise in popularity of weapons like the Chimera, while trusted guns like the RPK and Lachmann Sub remain among the most used in Warzone 2. Players are always eager to discover new builds to bring out the best of underappreciated weapons and overcome the most dominant and meta choices. Now, Warzone 2 expert Metaphor has unveiled his go-to TAQ V loadout, which he claims has no discernible recoil and outperforms the dominant RPK. Warzone 2 “zero recoil” TAQ V loadout In a January 27 YouTube video, the content creator outlined his chosen build to minimize recoil and make hitting shots at all ranges as easy as possible. He even claimed it “beats” the RPK, which has long ruled the roost in Al Mazrah, and described it as “an absolute laser beam.” Specifically, his TAQ V build is designed to minimize recoil and make it as viable as possible at medium and longer ranges. While it may lose out slightly in terms of ADS and handling, those aspects are less important at longer ranges where accuracy will usually be an engagement determiner. His full TAQ V build is detailed below: Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40 – Stock: Tactique Brute Stock – Magazine: 30 Round Mag – Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity – Once the TAQ V is down, players need only worry about their secondary. A strong SMG, like the Fennec or Vaznev 9K, seems like the most sensible option for now. While players may still struggle to afford loadout drops or primary weapons, they can look forward to them getting far more affordable and readily available in Season Two. We do expect balancing patches though, so watch this space for more information.

Warzone 2 guru unveils “wildly” underrated LMG with “insane” TTK – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils “wildly” underrated LMG with “insane” TTK ActivisionWarzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has uncovered a “wildly” underused LMG that has the potential to compete in the Season 2 Reloaded meta. For a long time, the RPK dominated Warzone 2 as the most powerful LMG and weapon in the game, achieving an unbelievably high pick rate. That was until the gun was hit with a set of heavy nerfs, causing the Sakin MG38 and the RAAL MG to take the top spots as the kings of the long-range meta. While both these options are incredibly strong, their popularity means a lot of the community completely overlooks all the other LMGs. Well, WhosImmortal believes one specific LMG has a huge amount of untapped potential, and its “insane” TTK could catapult it into the meta. Best 556 Icarus loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: FTAC Coldforge 16″ Barrel – Muzzle: Echoless-80 – Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip – Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity – Optic: AIM OP-V4 – For WhosImmortal, the 556 Icarus is one of the most “wildly” underrated LMGs in Warzone 2 and any player looking for a new long-range powerhouse should consider giving it a try. Equipped with an “insane” TTK and bullet velocity from a distance, the Icarus can be built to laser beam foes from afar, especially when using the AIM OP-V4 optic. As with the majority of the LMGs, the Icarus is strongest when utilized from power positions, as the gun does have limited mobility. The build above aims to push the Icarus’ damage to the limits while also bolstering the gun’s recoil pattern, which can be tough to master at first. The Icarus has an incredibly low pick rate of just 0.4%, so it’s safe to say that players are sleeping on the LMG. Running Overkill is recommended, as paired alongside a meta SMG, the Icarus could completely take over a match and allow you to rack up countless kills. So if you’re a fan of testing off-meta picks and love finding the next hidden gem, add this weapon to your loadout list – you won’t regret it.

Warzone 2 guru unveils sniper support AR with “crazy” TTK – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils sniper support AR with “crazy” TTK ActivisonWarzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has showcased a sniper support AR with a “crazy” TTK that melts enemy health bars at mid-range. When it comes to ARs in Warzone 2, the majority of them are built for laser-beaming foes from afar. Weapons like the M4 and TAQ-56 are perfect for taking down enemies at long range, but most players will opt for the Kastov-74u if they want top-tier damage output at medium range. Well, there is another option that according to WhosImmortal has a “crazy” TTK and may be the best sniper support on Al Mazrah. Best Chimera loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: 6.5″ EXF Vorpal – Muzzle: Kastovia DX90 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip – Magazine: 45-Round Mag – Introduced in the Season 1 Reloaded update, the Chimera or Honey Badger is a pint-sized AR that packs a punch at medium. According to WhosImmortal, this makes it one of the best sniper supports in Warzone 2 thanks to its “crazy” TTK and brilliant mobility. When compared to the Kastov-74u, the Chimera outperforms the gun at every range when it comes to damage output. Not only that, it has a manageable recoil pattern that’s relatively easy to control, making the AR extremely “versatile”. The build above aims to maximize the Chimera’s TTK and bullet velocity, while also maintaining the mobility that’s essential in a sniper support class. Topic starts at 10:06 As this is a sniper support loadout, it’s key you run Weapon Specialist so you can gain access to the Overkill perk for the second primary. For WhosImmortal, his choice of rifle is the Signal 50 as it has a solid rate of fire so it’s easy to land consecutive shots in a row. If you replicate this class you’re guaranteed to melt any enemy that stands in your way, giving you a great chance at picking up more wins.

Warzone 2 guru unveils “slept on” AR loadout that dominates as sniper support – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils “slept on” AR loadout that dominates as sniper support ActivisonWarzone 2 expert Metaphor has unveiled an underrated AR that is the “best sniper support” in Season 2 with “the same TTK as the mp5 but 3 times the range.“ The meta is starting to solidify after the huge shakeup caused by Warzone 2’s Season 2 update, however, there are still some guns that have remained under the radar despite carrying serious power. Some content creators and players are continuously experimenting with different loadouts and weapons to find a new way to enjoy the game, though, such as the one-shot snipers that have started to take over the meta. As a result, YouTuber Metaphor claims he has found the “best sniper support” weapon to back up your ‘one-shot’ sniper on close and medium ranges. Best Chimera loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40 – Magazine: 45 Round Mag – Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip – Stock: TRX-56 Stock – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Metaphor explained that he thinks Chimera is being ignored by the community despite the immense potential it has. “I think it’s really, really, being slept on. If you guys haven’t taken the time to level it up, I highly recommend it. You guys are going to see just what this thing can do in Warzone, it is absolutely insane,” said the content creator when describing the Chimera. The assault rifle has plenty of firepower and a rapid TTK, but the build above focuses on furthering its range, recoil control, and making it more accurate for those medium-distance firefights that the Chimera performs greatly in. On top of that, it also beats most SMGs up-close too. This combination of close and medium-range capability makes it the perfect sniper support for your long-range “one-shot” sniper rifle loadout like the SP-X 80. The Chimera only has a 1.5% pick rate according to WZRanked, so jump on this loadout before the rest of the community realizes the gun’s immense potential.

Warzone 2 guru unveils “ridiculously broken” secondary that outperforms Akimbo X13 Pistols – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils “ridiculously broken” secondary that outperforms Akimbo X13 Pistols ActivisionWarzone 2 YouTube and statistician IceManIsaac has outlined his build of the Basilisk secondary, claiming it outperforms the meta Akimbo X13s in the battle royale sequel. With the Overkill perk naturally a popular choice in Warzone 2, there’s some debate over the extent to which players need to rely on secondaries. Regardless, we’ve seen the X13 Akimbo pistols explode in popularity across Season One, with players realizing their high fire rate makes them lethal up close, even if the gimmick struggles to compete in anything other than close-quarters combat. However, according to IceManIsaac, one alternative secondary actually outperforms the X13 auto to the point of being “ridiculously broken” in Warzone 2.0. IceManIsaac claims Basilisk is “even better” than X13 Auto In a February 9 video, the content creator claimed the Basilisk secondary is “more broken” and he actually chose to reveal his specific build shortly ahead of Season Two in the hope they’re nerfed by Raven. “In case you didn’t know, the Basilisk, or the Magnum, has a Snakeshot round [option],” he explained. “You can rock it in a single hand… this is one of the most broken things I’ve ever seen.” Comparing it to the meta X13 autos, the Basilisk betters or matches its TTK up to 8m. In short, it’s the best secondary for exceptionally close-range gunfights – like clearing houses or small buildings. His full build is detailed below: Laser: REVO-LSD 7MW – Trigger Action: Bryson HTA – Ammunition: .500 Snakeshot – Loader: S40 Rapid Loader – Rear Grip: S0 R0-99 Grip – Another major bonus of the Basilisk is its movement speed and ability to ADS, both of which are tangible advantages over the X13s. Because it is solely suited to close-range, players will need a primary that is unmatched at medium or longer ranges – like the RPK. We do expect serious meta shifts when Season Two drops, so drop in and make the most of it ahead of February 15.

Warzone 2 guru unveils pistol build that “lasers across the map” – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils pistol build that “lasers across the map” ActivisionWarzone 2 veteran and content creator Metaphor has revealed his build that turns the X12 pistol into a very competent long-range weapon. Pistols have a weird place in Warzone 2’s meta. They are supposed to be short-range backups, but they are often severely outclassed by SMGs like Fennec or Lachmann Sub, so they rarely see any use. What’s more, any pistol that doesn’t excel at short range and is more of a medium or long-range weapon has been entirely deserted by the community, the .50 GS pistol is an excellent example of this. Hopefully, such weapons receive much-needed buffs with Season Two that’s right around the corner. Despite all of this Metaphor found a setup that turns the X12 pistol into a somewhat usable medium-range gun. The content creator claimed that this “DMR” pistol setup allowed him to “laser people across the map.” Metaphor claims this X12 build deals “a lot of damage” In a February 12 video, the content creator claimed that his combination of attachments and tunings makes the X12 a “long-ranged pistol”, and that it “does a lot of damage if you hit your shots”. At the same time, the Warzone 2 veteran highlights that this is not a meta loadout by any means, just a fun thing to do if you are looking for something new to try. “The end game that I have with this thing is absolutely out of control, I’m not even joking when I say this, I started lasering people across the map with this thing, hitting every bullet,” he explained. “This is a DMR build, so this thing is really, really bad up close. But we do have a bit of a long-range gun, a long-range pistol.” The X12 definitely won’t be outperforming the meta Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns of Warzone 2, but it is definitely not just a “joke” build. At limited damage per bullet, the DMR X12 offers great mobility and fast ADS time while still being able to kill at the medium range. Here’s the full loadout: Barrel: XRK Sidewinder-6 Slide – Trigger Action: XRK TR9 Trigger – Ammunition: 9MM Overpressured +P – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Stock: XRK Pistol Stock – This gun is of course intended for medium to long ranges, and players eager to try this build out should bring something more suited for close ranges to fill the other weapon slot: the Lachmann Sub, or the Fennec for example. We are excited to see how this gun, and other meta weapons for that matter, fare on the Ashika Island map coming to Warzone 2 with the Season Two update.

Warzone 2 guru unveils “phenomenal” close range weapon amidst Fennec nerfs – Dexerto
Warzone 2 guru unveils “phenomenal” close range weapon amidst Fennec nerfs ActivisionWarzone 2 guru WhosImmortal has unveiled a loadout for a great medium and close range ‘hybrid’ weapon in Season 2. The February 24 update completely shook up Warzone 2’s meta by nerfing RPK and Fennec which were still dominating the meta despite being nerfed at the beginning of Season 2. With the top spots on the food chain of Warzone 2’s meta opening up, players and content creators are already proposing their candidates for the top tier options. YouTuber WhosImmortal already proposed a number of close-range weapons that could replace the nerfed Fennec. One such weapon is the Kastov 74u which serves as a ‘hybrid’ of a medium range assault rifle and a close range submachine gun. Best Kastov 74u loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: BR209 Barrel – Laser: FFS OLE-V Laser – Magazine: 45 Round Mag – Stock: Markeev R7 Stock – Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip – WhosImmortal explained that he thinks Kastov 74u is on-par with Chimera for a hybrid of medium and close range rifles. “The Kastov 74u, is also phenomenal for this AR/SMG style of play. Close range, some medium range in there as well, low recoil, just not as mobile as some of the subs but it makes up for it with damage I would say for sure,” said the content creator about the 74u. The assault rifle has plenty of firepower and a rapid TTK at close ranges, and the build above focuses on furthering its mobility to compete with other close range weapons. Slapping a 45 round magazine on top of that, you can easily take on multiple opponents without running out of ammo in a single firefight. This combination of close range and medium range capability with high magazine capacity and enhanced mobility with this loadout makes it possible to contend with most of the meta SMGs up close. That said, you’ll still want either a sniper rifle like the SP-X 80 or an assault rifle like the Sakin MG38 for medium to long ranges. The 74u has a 1.4% pick rate according to WZRanked, which is not the lowest, but it’s definitely far behind meta weapons in popularity.

Warzone 2 guru unveils off-meta AR loadout better than ISO Hemlock ActivisonWarzone 2 expert Metaphor believes a forgotten OG AR is better than the meta ISO Hemlock thanks to its absurd headshot damage. Since its release back in Warzone 2’s Season 2 update, the ISO Hemlock has dominated the AR category and become extremely popular. Currently, the weapon is sitting at a mind-blowing 21% pick rate which places it right at the top of the charts. While there’s no denying its overwhelming power, a lot of the community is using the Hemlock by default and overlooking countless other viable options. Well, WZ2 YouTuber Metaphor believes one particular OG gun is better than the Hemlock thanks to its devastating TTK. Best Kastov 762 loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: SA Response III – Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser – Stock: Broadside FCT – Rear Grip: True Tac Grip – Ammunition: 9mm Overpressured +P – For Metaphor, the Kastov 762 is the “best AR in the game” because of the gun’s “absolutely insane” headshot damage. This means if you’re accurate with the weapon and can make the most of the multipliers, it’s capable of wiping out foes in milliseconds. The setup above opts to not run an optic so it’s more of a mid-range build that’s perfect alongside a meta SMG. With a focus on ADS time, raw damage, and impressive mobility, the class has a great balance of attributes, making it incredibly versatile. Although an extremely popular pick at Warzone 2’s release, the Kastov 762 is slowly being forgotten by the community. With just a 2% pick rate in Season 2 Reloaded, this gun is massively underrated and has a huge amount of potential. So, if you’re tired of using the ISO Hemlock, this could be the off-meta setup to take your gameplay to the next level.
