  • Swagg claims new MP5 loadout is best Warzone SMG again in Season 2 – Dexerto

Swagg claims new MP5 loadout is best Warzone SMG again in Season 2 Activision / SwaggLooking for a new SMG loadout in Warzone 2 after the nerfs to the MP40? Swagg has shown off his hipfire build of the Modern Warfare MP5 which he claims is the new top dog in Caldera. Warzone Season 2 has landed and it’s shaken up the meta in a number of ways. Not only did it introduce the brand new KG M40 Assault Rifle and Whitley LMG, it also buffed and nerfed some of the existing weapons on the roster. The MP40 took one of the worst hits, with its damage at mid and long-range taking a beating. This has blown the SMG meta wide open, with many players wondering what the best option is in that class. Well, according to CoD pro FaZe Swagg, this hipfire build for the Modern Warfare MP5 is set to “dominate” Caldera in Warzone Season 2. Swagg hipfire MP5 loadout for Warzone Season 2 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: 5mW Laser – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Perk: Sleight of Hand – Magazine: 45 Round Mags – First up, Swagg goes for the Monolithic Suppressor, to help keep you quiet. While he claims that he runs this suppressor because it “looks cooler,” the handy boost in range is almost certainly a major factor. Since this is a loadout geared around firing from the hip, the 5mW Laser is crucial for directing your bullets even you’re not aiming. In slightly longer-range fights, a laser enables you to hit shots that would normally be impossible without looking down the sights. Accuracy is key in any hipfire build, so the Merc Foregrip keeps the gun steady when you’re spraying and praying, and keeps some of the recoil in check, turning the MP5 into an absolute laser. Finally, he opts for the Sleight of Hand Perk, and 45 Round Mags. Boosted reload speeds mean you’ll never be a sitting duck for too long, while the bigger clips mean you don’t have to worry about running out in a crucial battle. As Swagg states in his video, with the MP40 being hit with huge nerfs, this setup for the MW MP5 could be the new gold standard in the close-range meta going forward. If you’re a player who enjoys the frantic nature of a hipfire build, this will be perfect for you. So, be sure to give this loadout a whirl the next time you’re drop in for a game of Warzone Season 2. • Swagg claims fan-favorite MW2 SMG ‘fries’ in Warzone again – Dexerto

Swagg claims fan-favorite MW2 SMG ‘fries’ in Warzone again Activision BlizzardFaZe Clan star Swagg believes that an old favorite is “frying” again in Warzone, and it’s something that hasn’t been in the meta conversation for a while. When Modern Warfare 3’s integration with Warzone first launched, weapons from the newest CoD title were leading the way. They were the dominant choices in both multiplayer and the battle royale, especially as they were better balanced for the new health and TTK changes. Over time, however, weapons from Modern Warfare 2 have come into the fold. Some older weapons, such as the M13C, FTAC Recon, and STB-556 have all proven to be deadly choices – especially after a few rounds of weapon balancing. There is another old favorite that is proving to be a solid choice, and its something that has been a staple in Call of Duty since the original Modern Warfare days – the MP5. Best Lachmann Shroud loadout for Warzone in MW3 That’s according to FaZe Swagg, who highlighted the Lachmann Shroud – otherwise known as the MP5 in-game – as being a top option in Warzone these days. “It’s a 40-plus kill game on Urzikstan with the old faithful – the MP5. You guys need to try this loadout,” Swagg said in his February 29 video. “This thing is absolutely filthy, I was frying.” Like with most SMGs in Warzone, the FaZe star configures the Shroud for better recoil control in close-range fights. That includes using attachments like the Lachmann Pulsar, Lachmann TCG-10 rear grip, and Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock. Barrel: Lachmann Pulsar – Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider – Stock: Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock – Magazine: 40 Round Mag – Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10 – The Shroud might be an old favorite, but it isn’t getting much of a look in with WZRanked players. As per the stat tracking site, the MW2 SMG is still way outside the thinking, ranking as the 76th most popular gun in the game. It remains to be seen if it’ll creep back up anytime soon, but it’s clearly won Swagg over.

  • Swagg claims CR-56 Warzone loadout is the Bruen killer – Dexerto

Swagg claims CR-56 Warzone loadout is the Bruen killer ActivisionPopular Call of Duty YouTuber, Swagg, has revealed his CR-56 AMAX Warzone loadout, which he claims to be “better than the Bruen” — the LMG that has been dominating the meta in Season 4. Modern Warfare’s fourth season certainly changed the meta in Warzone. After a number of patches to popular weapons like the MP5 and the Grau 5.56, the Bruen Mk9 came into a class of its own. The high-impact LMG packs a punch while allowing you to be nimble on your feet — a feature most other weapons in its class simply can’t offer. Combine this with the high fire rate and it’s no surprise that the Bruen is widely considered the best weapon in the game right now. Although, Swagg believes that Season Four’s addition to the weapon pool, the CR-56 AMAX, can contend with the big dogs. Best CR-56 AMAX loadout for Warzone The CR-56 AMAX is in a similar ballpark to the heavier hitting assault rifles like the AK-47 and the Oden. Compared to the AK and Oden, the CR-56 sacrifices a pinch of power and range for a better fire rate and mobility. Providing you can tame the vertical recoil, Swagg believes that AMAX might be the ‘Bruen killer.’ With a faster time-to-kill than the Bruen within a 50-meter range, you’ll find that you get the most out of this AR in closer range gunfights. With that said, the weapon can be just as deadly at range, especially if you tap your trigger to counteract the heavy recoil. Here’s how Swagg gets the most out of his CR-56 AMAX: Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor. – Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440. – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip. – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags. – Loadout revealed at 16:46. Swagg combines the CR-56 with the MP5 to be able to take gunfights at all ranges. With both of these weapons in-hand, the YouTuber racked up an impressive 20-kill gameplay. While the Bruen/FAL have been all the range in recent weeks, it seems that a new meta could be on the horizon — and the CR-56 is leading the charge. • Swagg claims Cold War UGR SMG is already “broken” in Warzone Season 3 – Dexerto

Swagg claims Cold War UGR SMG is already “broken” in Warzone Season 3 ActivisionWarzone content creator Swagg has claimed that the new UGR submachine gun, the latest weapon from Black Ops Cold War, is so good in the CoD battle royale that it’s essentially “broken”. Warzone has become infamous in Call of Duty circles for its conflation of multiple titles’ content in one place. While the devs at Raven have admitted it is partially to blame for the prevalent bugs and glitches in the BR, it has also been welcomed by fans as a solid creative decision that allows more freedom in-game. While recent months have naturally seen Vanguard content added to Warzone, early May brought new content from Black Ops Cold War in the form of the UGR submachine gun, a weapon designed for underwater combat and modified to impress on land. While early verdicts are naturally mixed and it may take some time for players to use it regularly, Swagg has claimed it is so good it is essentially “broken.” In a May 7 YouTube video the Warzone star dropped 42 kills with the Cold War SMG, claiming it’s one of the game’s strongest options at close and medium ranges. “So I leveled it up fully,” he said, “and I had one of the craziest [games]. I can’t even gas this up.” Utilizing the SMG at medium ranges, Swagg tore through enemies and took home the win. Unfortunately, he did not drop his exact loadout but you can check out our recommended UGR build for Warzone below. Barrel: 14.5″ Liberator – Optic: Microflex LED – Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock – Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip – Magazine: Flechette Rounds – Because of its newness in Warzone, the UGR is far from ‘meta’ just yet but, if its early potential proves borne out, it could be the next OTs-9 or MP40 and absolutely dominate moving forwards.

  • Swagg claims AN-94 Warzone loadout beats M4A1 & Kilo – Dexerto

Swagg claims AN-94 Warzone loadout beats M4A1 & Kilo YouTube: Swagg / Activision[jwplayer EM7ByTrZ] Popular Call of Duty YouTuber Swagg has unveiled his new AN-94 Warzone loadout that he believes could rival the popular M4A1 and Kilo 141 builds that currently dominate Verdansk. The AN-94 isn’t a particularly popular weapon in Warzone, especially with how dominant other weapons in the assault rifle class are. That said, you’ll often see top streamers and content creators trying out new things to see what works and how they compare to the meta weapons — and luckily for us, the true power of the AN-94 might have just been uncovered. If anyone is unfamiliar with the AN-94, it’s no surprise because the other ARs can be so dominant in Warzone, but if you’re looking to change things up, this is actually one of the fastest-killing weapons in the game. As Swagg explains, the gun’s ‘hyperburst’ feature makes killing people that bit quicker, especially if you have a decent level of accuracy and can hit your first shot. That’s because with the AN-94’s hyperburst, you can get two shots out for the price of just one, with the second shot always firing much quicker than the gun typically would in full-auto mode. That means that, if you’re accurate, you’re essentially getting a free shot on the enemy, which could be the difference between life and death. The gun also has a two-round burst feature that makes every shot as fast as those first two rounds, so alternating between two-round burst and full-auto helps Swagg get a nice 25-kill win with almost 8000 damage. Here’s the exact loadout Swagg was using so you can check it out in-game and see how you like it: Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: AN-94 Factory X-438mm – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip – Ammunition: 60-Round Casket Mags – Obviously, you can change up the loadout however you see fit, but this is pretty much standard for any Warzone AR class. Whether it’s better than the likes of the M4A1, Kilo 141 or the Grau is up for debate, but the gun can clearly pack a punch.

  • Swagg calls for Warzone devs to finally add console FOV slider: “Stop playing” – Dexerto

Swagg calls for Warzone devs to finally add console FOV slider: “Stop playing” ActivisionTesting out a unique Warzone console simulation on PC, Swagg showcased just how “smooth” the game can be on Xbox and PlayStation if developers “stop playing” and finally add an FOV slider. Warzone has been out for almost two years now, and players have been begging for one key feature since the very beginning: a Field of View (FOV) slider on console. PC players have always had the luxury of being able to expand their vision. With a higher FOV, more of the game is visible on screen at any given time. Console players, however, haven’t been so lucky. Without an FOV slider, new complaints are always catching fire on social media as console players feel neglected. Looking to force a change once and for all, Swagg tested some unique settings on PC and demanded the devs “go ahead” and add the setting on console. Just days after calling Warzone “chalked” on Xbox, Swagg returned for another test. This time playing on PC, the FaZe Clan streamer capped his FPS at 60 and even changed the refresh rate on his monitor. All of this was done to mirror the console Warzone experience but with one huge difference. Swagg left the FOV slider in effect, keeping his usual 120 FOV setting locked in. Right out of the gate, it became clear that frame rate isn’t a “make or break difference,” he explained. “It’s definitely the FOV.” “I never really understood because all the recent multiplayer games have FOV slider,” Swagg said before adding that it makes “zero sense” for Warzone not to. “They put FOV sliders in every single multiplayer game. So bro, let’s just go ahead and throw it on here. Let’s stop playing. What are we doing?” Having a wider FOV, even with limited FPS and worse performance, is a game-changer for Swagg. “It just feels so smooth,” he said. “I think you would see a lot more console players who are more goated at the game, overall great players.” While Swagg is hopeful console players get their FOV slider in a nearby update, he still reached out to a Warzone dev directly to be safe. “Hope you guys are still considering FOV [for] console,” he Twitter DM read. Whether anything comes of it, only time will tell.

  • Swagg brings classic CoD 4 M40A3 to Warzone with special loadout – Dexerto

Swagg brings classic CoD 4 M40A3 to Warzone with special loadout Activision / SwaggOne of Call of Duty 4’s classic weapons is finally in Warzone as Swagg creates a special loadout to replicate the M40A3. Call of Duty: Warzone has over 100 different weapons that players can customize in the gunsmith to create the best loadout. Even though there are so many guns, some classic weapons still haven’t been added to the game. Despite this, Swagg has taken matters into his own hands by creating a special loadout to bring the CoD 4 M40A3 sniper into Warzone. Swagg’s CoD 4 M40A3 sniper Warzone loadout As seen in the picture above, Swagg uses the Pelington 703 as the base weapon to make the M40A3. Here are the full attachments: Barrel: 27.2” Combat Recon – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight – Optic: Royal & Kross 4x – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – Magazine: 7 Rnd – With this build that Swagg used, it makes the Pelington look exactly like the M40A3 and on top of that, it has really good damage and range, making it viable. Swagg later said that it feels just like the original M40A3, “It’s literally a copy and paste from CoD 4.” His stream was ecstatic as he had fooled his viewers into thinking the gun had actually been added to Warzone. In his gameplay, you can see the similarities that this loadout has to the CoD 4 sniper. While ADSing it looks nearly identical and has players reminiscing on the nostalgia. The gun also competes with the Kar98k and Swiss K31 as shown in his YouTube video. He was able to wipe teams with precise shots as he puts 1 bullet into the enemy’s heads. If you’re a CoD 4 fan and looking to bring one of the game’s most beloved sniper into Warzone then definitely give this loadout a try.

  • Swagg bites back at Warzone 2 fans saying he shouldn’t get a skin in the game – Dexerto

Swagg bites back at Warzone 2 fans saying he shouldn’t get a skin in the game Swagg/ActivisionFaZe Clan star Swagg has weighed in on claims he shouldn’t get a skin in Warzone 2 if the devs keep adding more beyond the NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman leaks. When Warzone really started getting into the market of constantly releasing skins and cosmetics, plenty of fans questioned just how long it’d be before they released bundles based on streamers and content creators. However, despite all the interest, it didn’t happen back in Warzone 1. Though, as we’ve moved into Season 3 of Warzone 2, there have been leaks about NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman getting their own. Those leaks have confused a few people, seeing as neither Tim nor Nick focus on Warzone these days. Some believe the likes of Scump should be getting one instead. Swagg weighs in on Warzone 2 creator skins FaZe Clan’s Swagg was also suggested as someone who should have a creator skin, seeing how much success he had in Warzone initially. That was floated by FaZe Santana, but some players did disagree with him, claiming that there was a list of other names to go through before getting to Swagg and that he’d become known off the back of Nick in the first place. So, he had to step in and defend himself a little bit. “Funny reading the replies when I have nearly 900 million views on one title. But, creators getting skins is a good thing for everyone. Hopefully they do more,” Swagg said in reply to Santana’s tweet. As it stands, the Nick and Tim skins haven’t yet been released, but it does appear as if they’re coming given the number of leakers that have talked about them. It still remains to be seen if Warzone will follow in Fortnite’s steps and make creator skins a bigger thing and if the likes of Swagg will get one of their own.

  • Swagg becomes the latest Call of Duty YouTuber to join FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Swagg becomes the latest Call of Duty YouTuber to join FaZe Clan FaZe Clan / Swagg YouTubeFaZe Clan have added another prolific name to their Call of Duty content team with the signing of Youtuber ‘Swagg’ who’s set to join the world renown organization. Swagg has grinded over the years on his craft while amassing 65,000 followers on Twitter, over 240,00 on Twitch, and 1.16 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. The content creator lives and breathes Call of Duty; helping the community with videos of impressive weapon loadout combinations for Modern Warfare along with insane fragging compilations on Warzone. Though he’s been within the circles of giant YouTubers, he was still beside himself seeing ‘FaZe’ followed by his name after the org’s announcement. “It’s so crazy, I was making videos with a bulls**t ass Turtle Beach mic watching all of those FaZe dudes tear [it] up,” Swagg said, reminiscing about the past admiring the members of the org he now represents. But coming down an eight-year path to finally FaZeUp with the best of them won’t detract Swagg from his strengths as a content creator. WELCOME, to FaZe Clan’s newest member: @Swagg #FaZeUp pic.twitter.com/QajJMKkgCN — FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) April 4, 2020 “I’m not hitting no 360 zoom,” Swagg said. Back in its heyday, FaZe was a collective of Call of Duty players known for their insane sniping trickshots, something that the new member joked that he might have to learn now. Swagg’s content pedigree has already been up to FaZe’s standards before his signing. In his career, he’s put together over 2,100 YouTube videos spanning the various Call of Duty titles throughout the years. He described joining the org as “overwhelming,” saying that he was playing with “idol” NICKMERCS a few days prior when he got the message from FaZe owner Yousef ‘Apex’ Abdelfattah about joining. During the April Fools Day festivities, FaZe put out a call for anyone to join the ranks for one of the gaming world’s biggest organizations. The tweet got over 70,000 replies filled with YouTubers, streamers, aspiring pro players, and more. But it was YouTuber Kris ‘Swagg’ who’s number was called up after giving FaZe an enticing offer that the org wasn’t prepared to let go. FaZe have been making huge moves in 2020 in all facets of entertainment. From their elite Fortnite talent to their unbeatable content machine which is expanding to a Quibi reality show. With the sheer volume of starpower in FaZe Clan, Swagg is looking to shine even brighter as the org’s newly minted content creator.

  • Swagg bashes “crazy” pay to win DMZ bundle in Warzone 2 Season 3 – Dexerto

Swagg bashes “crazy” pay to win DMZ bundle in Warzone 2 Season 3 Swagg/ActivisionStreaming star Swagg has been left astounded by the “pay to win” bundle that has been added to Warzone 2 in Season 3, calling it a “crazy” decision from the developers. Over the last few years, every battle royale developer has followed in Fortnite’s steps by adding a whole raft of cosmetics and skins to their game including weapon wraps, character skins, and everything in between. While these cosmetics aren’t supposed to give you a competitive advantage, there have been a number of “pay to win” complaints when it comes to Warzone. No one is forgetting the ‘Gallantry’ MAC-10 and it’s increased damage any time soon. In the case of Warzone 2, there have been a few “pay to win” complaints already, however, the new operator skins for DMZ have taken things a step further and Swagg isn’t pleased about it. Swagg questions “crazy” pay to win skins in Warzone 2 Season 3 These new skins, introduced in Season 3, give players the opportunity to load into a game with everything from an instant 2-plate armor vest, self-revive kit, and possibly a UAV. “It is kind of crazy that after everything they’ve done, everything that’s going on, they put a pay to win aspect of Warzone in a bundle,” Swagg said in his April 18 video. “I don’t know what’s going on over there, I don’t know what the meetings are like but, I don’t even know man. We need to make a turn in the right direction.” Timestamp of 11:46 Swagg also noted player frustrations over the fact tat you can simply bypass some looting aspects with these skins, especially if you use the Ghost bundle and have a 2-plate armor vest for fights right away. It remains to be seen if any changes will be made to these skins, or if the devs have plans for further ones. But, players clearly aren’t too pleased.

  • Swagg and ZLaner go head-to-head in Warzone 1v1 kill race with shocking results – Dexerto

Swagg and ZLaner go head-to-head in Warzone 1v1 kill race with shocking results Activision, ZLaner, SwaggIn an epic clash between two Call of Duty greats, FaZe’s Swagg took on OpTic’s ZLaner in a battle for Warzone supremacy. Surprisingly, the big-time contest between the two elite streamers wasn’t as competitive as you would’ve thought. Outside of his usual participation in Warzone tournaments that earns the streamer plenty of cash, Swagg has also been running a mini-series in which he takes on fellow pros in a 1v1 kill race. So far, the likes of Aydan and DiazBiffle have taken part in the challenge, and now it was the time of the legendary ZLaner. If you didn’t know, Z initially became famous for his partnership with hugely popular and successful streamer Dr Disrespect and is now regarded as one of the best Warzone players in the world. The two faced off against each other, and the result was pretty unexpected. To ensure the odds and conditions were as even as possible, the duo both equipped ZLaner’s favorite-ever meta weapons in Warzone — the Kilo 141 and MP5. “We’re gonna be doing a Kilo MP5, kill race against each other, best of three in the Duos playlist.” With the rules laid out, the pair jumped into their first game. In a very back and forth game, Swagg outlasted Z and went on to claim the first match 17-13 in an impressive showing from the two players. But the real shock was in game two when ZLaner was killed with only 4 registered kills, in comparison to Swagg’s 12! Swagg finished off the game with one more kill before being taken out himself. The final standings showed a comprehensive 2-0 win to Swagg, with the FaZe player picking up 29 kills overall to Z’s 17. “GGs though, hey, listen, I got smoked two times in a row,” ZLaner graciously said to Swagg in relation to the contest. Swagg winning certainly isn’t surprising as both players are high-caliber competitors capable of incredible gameplay, though the margin of the victory may be shocking to some.

  • Suspicions raised over ‘leaked’ Modern Warfare 4 artwork – Dexerto

Suspicions raised over ‘leaked’ Modern Warfare 4 artwork As the Call of Duty community eagerly awaits news on the next title of the historic franchise, a leak has surfaced that suggests it will be none other than the fourth installment of the Modern Warfare series. On March 15, an apparently leaked poster image of Modern Warfare 4 was posted online, sparking widespread discussion on social media. The poster features four soldiers standing in a dark, rainy setting, with the classic Call of Duty logo emblazoned across the center. Located underneath the logo is a text that reads ‘MODERN WARFARE 4’ in the iconic green glowing text used on the cover images of the first two Modern Warfare games. Interestingly enough, the leak is not the image itself, but rather a photograph that someone took of the image, which appears to have been printed on some folded up poster. As expected, the appearance of this “leak” has raised a lot more questions than it’s answered, with a lot of fans raising their suspicions about the image’s authenticity. These suspicions are very much warranted, considering that the poster could easily be a fake and photographed in such a way to make it seem more like an actual leak. However, this would not be the first time it’s been suggested that the next CoD title will be Modern Warfare 4, as a multitude of leaks have been released over the past few months that also point to the same theory. We already know that Infinity Ward will be developing the game, and considering how so many players disliked their previous title, Infinite Warfare, many are speculating that the company will try to resurrect the popular Modern Warfare series to get back in fans’ good graces. That being said, players will not have to wait much longer to get official news on the next game, as new CoD titles usually get revealed at some point during the spring before their release.

  • Surprising stats reveal story of CWL Champs so far — OpTic’s duo, Dylan, FormaL and more – Dexerto

Surprising stats reveal story of CWL Champs so far — OpTic’s duo, Dylan, FormaL and more Atlanta ReignFollowing a rollercoaster of a first day at the Call of Duty World Championship on August 14, some shined brighter than others amid the pool play pandemonium that unfolded. This year’s CWL season has been nothing short of dramatic, with OpTic Gaming finding victory at Black Ops 4’s curtain raiser, CWL Las Vegas, but struggled throughout 2019 as Luminosity, eUnited and 100 Thieves all picked up tournament victories on the road to CWL Champs 2019. The first day of pool play did not disappoint and exceeded spectator expectations; from shocking eliminations to crazy individual plays. However, some individuals came out hotter than others and produced performances that placed them inside the top 10 for highest damage dealt per minute. After his performance in OpTic’s first match of the competition versus TrainHard, Thomas ‘TJHaLy‘ Haly finds himself sitting comfortably at the top of the list, as his consistently crispy shots and savvy plays proved too much for the amateur team to handle. Teammate Brandon ‘Dashy‘ Otell only trails by 66 damage per minute (DPM) behind Haly, placing him 3rd and showing why is one of the most feared AR Slayers in the game, and why OpTic Gaming could pose a major threat this weekend, especially in respawn modes like Hardpoint and Control where they cruised past TrainHard with relative ease in a comfortable 3-1 win. While the stats may look impressive, it’s worth noting that they do come with a major caveat. OpTic Gaming have only played one match in the tournament so far, and did so against the lowest seeded team in their group, so theoretically they should be putting up big numbers against a team who shouldn’t pose a threat to their progression to bracket play. OpTic weren’t the only hot starters Given the context of the GreenWall’s display versus TrainHard, the performance of Team Reciprocity Flex, Dylan ‘Dylan’ Henderson, is even more impressive (sitting at second in the standings) after playing two matches on Wednesday — including a loss to Team Envy. The fact that he remains close to front-runner TJHaLy (despite the disappointing slip against the ‘Boys in Blue’) proves why he is one of the best players in the game. Elsewhere, former OpTic star and current Luminosity player Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper climbed to 4th on the list with just shy of 500 DPM, despite a surprising 0-3 loss to Team Singularity — showing that he his most definitely eager to get his second ring. A focused Ulysses ‘Aqua’ Silva produced a sensational 1.62 kill-to-death ration while still clocking 478 DPM versus top amateur outfit, Team Aspire, as Splyce attempt to lose the shackles of a number of second place finishes and lift the game’s biggest trophy. Carnage and Evil Geniuses will face off against OpTic next at CWL Champs, and if the deadly duo are able to continue their current form, it’s hard to argue that OpTic aren’t in the running to add even more rings to their fingers on Sunday night.

  • Surprising SnD stats from CDL prove which pro team is the most clutch – Dexerto

Surprising SnD stats from CDL prove which pro team is the most clutch Activision / Call of Duty LeagueThe Call of Duty League has crossed the halfway mark of the first season, and we’ve seen some teams flourish while others look to be crumbling before our very eyes. But when it comes to a team’s clutch factor in Search and Destroy, the standings look a little different. At the time of writing, Chicago Huntsmen top the CDL Standings following their second Home Series win, closely followed by Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire. As such, you would think these teams are the most clutch in Search and Destroy, able to pull out the win when it’s most necessary… but the stats say otherwise. Search and Destroy has been a staple Call of Duty mode for years, and some of the most iconic plays in the history of the franchise come from a player or team’s ability to perform when a match hits its peak intensity. New stats suggest that, while teams such as Chicago and Dallas are adept at Search and Destroy, they might not actually be the most clutch team in the game. Posting to Reddit, Dxngles compiled statistics for every team in the Call of Duty League, ranking them by their win percentage in Round 11 – the final, decisive round of Search and Destroy games, when tied 5-5. Every team has played several Search and Destroy round 11s thus far, and the team that tops the round 11 win percentage leaderboard is actually the New York Subliners, who have won each of the five round 11s they’ve played so far. Following them are Chicago and Atlanta, at 83.33% and 80% respectively. Meanwhile, two-time winners Dallas Empire actually find themselves in 11th place winning just 20% of their SnD round 11s. Minnesota RØKKR currently sit dead last, having won just one of their seven round 11s, while surprisingly, Los Angeles Guerrillas have a 75% win record in round 11s despite sitting dead last in the overall standings. While these statistics aren’t necessarily the be-all and end-all of a team’s Search and Destroy ability – take a look at Dallas’ 63% win record overall in Search for example – it’s definitely interesting to look at and see which team can really hold their nerve and pull out the must-win clutch rounds. In the most intense cases, a round 11 victory could be the difference between a championship and a runner-up medal, and by the looks of it, no team will want to face New York Subliners in that scenario.

  • Surprise Warzone SMG could be next top-tier meta weapon – Dexerto

Surprise Warzone SMG could be next top-tier meta weapon Treyarch/ActivisionThe OTs 9 and the MAC-10 currently hold the top spots in the Warzone meta for SMGs, but it may be time to take a trip down memory lane and pick up the MW AUG. When it comes to picking an SMG in Warzone Season 6, the meta choices for players are the OTs 9 and the MAC-10. While there are other options available, these two guns have established themselves as some of the most popular weapons in the game, with both of them dropping in and out of the top five regularly. Of course, with these SMGs being picked so often, this can lead to a lot of strong weapons being overlooked, especially those that have been in the game for multiple seasons like the Modern Warfare AUG. Warzone YouTuber TrueGameData believes the gun is still one of the best SMGs in the game, and he’s got a top-tier loadout so you can tear down your opponents with the old-school weapon. TrueGameData’s MW AUG loadout could be the new meta Back when Warzone was first released, the Modern Warfare AUG was considered to be one of the best weapons in the game. Now, TrueGameData believes the SMG is being overlooked and it can be a great sniper-support option with the correct loadout. Not only does the AUG have lethal TTK at close-quarters, but it also delivers at medium-range and is incredibly accurate. In his video, TrueGameData runs the AUG alongside the Swiss K31 and is a force to be reckoned with in every skirmish. It’s worth noting that AUG doesn’t perform as well as the typical AR sniper supports at long-range, but it’s definitely well worth the sacrifice as it will melt any opponents that attempt to aggressively push your position. Attachments Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Solozero Optics Mini Reflex – Magazine: 5.56 NATO 30-Round Mag – Perk: Sleight of Hand – As a sniper support class, TrueGameData’s loadout focuses on being versatile and being able to take on foes from any distance. Just make sure you’re running the Overkill perk along with your favorite sniper, preferably the Swiss K31 or the Kar98k. Don’t be afraid to take close-quarter gunfights with the AUG and push aggressively when necessary. The weapon packs a lot of power and is another loadout to add your arsenal ahead of the Pacific update on December 8.

  • Surprise Warzone LMG breaks all-time K/D record – Dexerto

Surprise Warzone LMG breaks all-time K/D record ActivisionAn LMG in Warzone has broken the all-time K/D record for weapons – and the result may surprise even the most hardcore of players. CoD’s Warzone has been experiencing an influx of World War II weapons after the game integrated with the franchise’s latest release, Vanguard. As is with every iteration of the battle royale, some guns are better than others. It can be an SMG that is perfect for close-quarters combat or an AR that helps you light up enemies from afar – they all have their uses. But one gun type, in particular, has made a surprise appearance in Warzone’s arsenal as the one to use, and it’s cleaning house. Bren LMG breaks all-time Warzone weapon K/D record The Bren was a light machine gun that was used by the British army from the 1930s up until the 1990s, including the Second World War. It was only natural that it made an appearance for Vanguard and subsequently Warzone. In the battle royale, guns with high rates of damage and a decent range are king. The Bren is perfect for that. A weapon that can efficiently and quickly take down any enemy’s armor will surely get into the hands of any player and it has. Bren currently has the highest daily K/D in the history of Warzone pic.twitter.com/pAHnhCIQxN — wzranked (@wzranked) December 19, 2021 As per the website, wzranked.com, the Bren currently sits at the top of the best K/D for primary weapons. Not only that, but it also holds the record for that title with a 1.75 K/D. It is also the only other weapon from Vanguard, apart from the Cooper Carbine, to break the top five in that category. Warzone will have guns that are the top dog in any category but it’s not often that those guns break all-time K/D records.

  • Surprise team wins $20k NICKMERCS Warzone MFAM Gauntlet: Results – Dexerto

Surprise team wins $20k NICKMERCS Warzone MFAM Gauntlet: Results Packers, Max Holloway (IG), UTA, Tfue, FaZe Clan, Infinity Ward[jwplayer br5AuoVJ] For the third straight week in July, popular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has hosted a fan-favorite MFAM Gauntlet Warzone tournament series. Ever since his shift to Warzone as his main game, NICKMERCS has found even more success on Twitch, which led to Activision choosing to financially and promotionally back his MFAM Gauntlet competitions. As a result, Nick’s been able to turn his monthly spectacle into a weekly affair, with the latest running coming on July 31, the third of four events that are part of his July Gauntlet series. The tournament’s format shifted to Quads, once again featuring some of the biggest names in gaming and entertainment going head-to-head for a slice of the $20,000 prize pool. Results, final placements & recap The first phase of the MFAM Gauntlet tournaments consists of a 3 hour kill race, followed by head to head matches to determine winners. 8 teams progressed from the kill race stage to form the Round 1 bracket. This round notably pitted Team Censor against Team NICKMERCS, with the tournament’s host coming up short and being eliminated. Team TimTheTatman overcame Team KingRichard, while the sides led by TeePee and SuperDuperKyle also triumphed. In the semi-finals, TimTheTatman’s outfit overcame Censor’s team, while TeePee’s quad was vanquished by SuperDuperKyle, setting up an intriguing final. Potentially an upset, Team SuperDuperKyle overcame the Twitch powerhouse’s stream, meaning his team took home $9,000 – the lion’s share of the $20k prize pool. TimTheTatman’s team finished second, securing just over $1,000 per player, while TeePee’s roster took home the bronze medal. Disappointment reigned for a number of high profile players, however. Vikkstar, for example, failed to make it past the three hour kill race, despite teaming with London Royal Ravens star Skrapz. Similar fates were met by the teams of DougisRaw and JKap, both of whom were tipped to do well going into the competition. Players & teams In total, 23 teams of four competed in the tournament – a mix of superstar streamers, top YouTubers, professional Call of Duty players, athletes, musicians, and more. The winners of last week’s Duos event, DougisRaw and UnRationaL, came back to defend their crown alongside battle royale stars Symfuhny and FaZe Bloo. The host himself, NICKMERCS, also participated, teaming with longtime friend and teammate NioRooch, fellow FaZe superstar Swagg, and CoD world champion John. • Surprise team becomes first to advance to CWL Pro League from Qualifier – Dexerto

Surprise team becomes first to advance to CWL Pro League from Qualifier While the CWL Pro League Qualifier still has two days left before wrapping up, one team has already qualified for the Pro League after an incredible start to the competition. Many were surely looking towards Call of Duty‘s top squads like Team Envy and 100 Thieves to move into the Pro League with one of the eight automatic seeds from Pool Play. Instead, it was Midnight Esports that managed to subvert all expectations while causing their fair share of upsets to secure the first spot in the Pro League from this week’s Qualifier. Midnight got off a promising start against 100 Thieves on Day One by running straight through them to the tune of a 3-0 sweep. It turns out that this was a sign of things to come as the team managed to push through their next three matches with a sense of urgency that few expected from them. They were tested a bit by Excelerate Gaming on Day One and again by Overtime eSport on Day Two, but Midnight still rose to the occasion each time to walk away with a pair of 3-2 wins. Midnight only played a single game on Day Three, but their 3-1 win over Team SpaceLy was all they needed to lock up their spot in the Pro League. As the first team so far to win their first five matches, Midnight have shown that they are not a roster to be taken lightly. This is especially true for ‘LlamaGod’ as he pointed out on Twitter that this is the fourth time he’s made the Pro League through a qualifier. “When am I ever going to get real credit?” LlamaGod posed to his social media followers. this will be my 4th time making the league through a qualifier if it’s 100%. when am i ever going to get real credit? — Devin☔️ (@LlamaGod) January 17, 2019 LlamaGod might have been doubted in the past, but it’s clear that he and the rest of his teammates are a team to look out for when the Pro League begins on February 4. Prior to that, they’ll finish up the Qualifier by taking on Mazer Gaming at 12pm EST on January 19.

  • Surprise qualifier team wins Chipotle Warzone Challenge: final placements – Dexerto

Surprise qualifier team wins Chipotle Warzone Challenge: final placements Pixabay [jwplayer kCHVIVxy]The Chipotle Challenger Series’ $50,000 Warzone tournament has now wrapped up and one of the qualifier teams stunned the competition with a dominant victory. Featuring pro Call of Duty players, top content creators, athletes, and celebrities, the Chipotle Warzone Challenge was one of the most star-studded events we’ve seen since the popular battle royale released in March. However, out of all those big names, it was the quartet of AlmxndTV, FluffyHippo1927, Intechs, and Insxte, who qualified all the way back in the first week, that ended up winning the whole thing, thanks to a strong mentality and some expert-level strategies. They finished with 349 points combined from their four matches, a remarkable total considering that each elimination was worth one point and victories were worth five. While those guys may have come out of the blue to claim the win, there were some recognizable names in the top-10 as well, including Nadeshot’s team (fifth with 297 points), NICKMERCS’ squad (sixth with 294 points), and Team CouRage (ninth with 291 points). The winners got to take home not only the whopping $25,000 prize and a year of free Chipotle burritos but also got another $25,000 donated to charity in their names. Chipotle Warzone Challenge final placements Please note that some of the teams at the bottom may have a low amount of points due to not reporting scores on time. Chipotle Warzone Challenge format All of the teams were given three hours to try and get as many good games of Warzone as they could, with only their four best matches from that time window going towards their overall score. Scoring was based on both eliminations (one point) and wins (five points), so you could imagine the incredible performances some of the teams had to have to put up these kinds of monstrous numbers. As for the teams themselves, many of them were invited by Chipotle to participate with another 32 making it from the qualifier rounds that took place in the weeks prior, including the squad that ended up winning the whole thing. In addition to all the prize and charity money they awarded out for this tournament, Chipotle also hooked up fans with free food as well – 3,000 burritos to be exact. 3,000 viewers were treated to one of the restaurant chain’s most popular menu items as a way to thank fans for watching. Now, the only thing that remains to be seen is what Chipotle have up their sleeve for the rest of 2020!

  • Surprise Milano nerf in Warzone makes big change to recoil – Dexerto

Surprise Milano nerf in Warzone makes big change to recoil ActivisionRaven Software has released a small patch that has fixed a number of general Warzone bugs, but one of the changes has impacted the Milano 821’s recoil. Warzone’s SMG meta has seen a number of changes since the Season 4 Reloaded midseason update. Not only did the widespread TTK changes see the meta shift back to the MAC-10 and MP5, it also saw the Milano rise up in popularity as well. Unlike the other guns in its class, Cold War’s pint-sized SMG comes packed with a little more range damage. If that wasn’t enough, this SMG has barely any recoil which makes it perfect for melting through enemies at a distance. Because of this, many players enjoy using the Milano on Rebirth Island where its close-quarters damage and high precision made it incredibly dominant. However, the latest Warzone patch could change the Milano’s current standing in the SMG meta. Warzone Milano nerf Stopping Power Rounds have always been incredibly potent in Warzone, especially since they increase your gun’s damage. In order to make this added damage buff fair, the gun with the loaded rounds has its recoil drastically increased. Read More: Activision provides CoD Vanguard update – This can make hitting targets at mid to long-range distances rather tricky, but if you can control the recoil, then you’ll down opponents faster than ever before. Well, it turns out the Milano didn’t receive the same treatment. 🛠️A #Warzone update is going live now! Includes various general and Payload specific Bug Fixes. The Season Four Reloaded patch notes have been amended (see August 2nd): pic.twitter.com/r89N6aQt7A — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) August 2, 2021 In fact, when players equipped Stopping Power Rounds to Milano the gun would actually receive a significant reduction in recoil. Having a gun that can quickly down people in close-quarter fights, then laser foes at range isn’t exactly befitting of an SMG. Read More: Everything coming in Warzone Season 5 – Fortunately, Raven Software has finally addressed this issue in their latest patch. This means the Milano will now have an increased recoil pattern when equipped with Stopping Power Rounds. While the Milano will still be able to shred through your target’s armor, you’ll need to manage the gun’s recoil when going for those long-range kills.

  • SuperEvan joins XSET: “Something to prove” – Dexerto

SuperEvan joins XSET: “Something to prove” XSETCall of Duty: Warzone star and Twitch streamer, Evan ‘SuperEvan’ Moore, has officially joined XSET Gaming. To bring in the news, we had an interview with Evan and XSET co-founder Marco Mereu about the man behind the mask and the partnership’s future. SuperEvan is one of Warzone’s five highest earners of all time and a consistent favorite to win major tournaments. Now, he joins XSET Gaming, who continue to push the envelope in Warzone and at the crossroads of gaming, esports, and entertainment. A former AAU basketball player and longtime gamer, we dove into Evan’s origin story, competitiveness, and future with XSET. XSET x SuperEvan: Assemble What do you think makes XSET such a good fit for your game and community? SuperEvan: I saw the way they were going. I feel like they felt my culture, a lot of their merch is stuff that I would wear. And they’re partnering with rappers and athletes, and that’s kind of the field I wanted to step into. I just think they’re headed the right way. I’m very excited for the future and can’t wait to see what happens. Marco: I think, looking at his stream a year from now, it’s going to be significantly more watched than it is already. From XSET’s perspective, Warzone is the WWE of esports. It’s the most entertaining game you can watch right now. We like to run these real-money, cash giveaway games. So we’re definitely going to up the game a little bit and bring our resources to make some of the stuff more exciting and pumped up around Evan’s gameplay. SuperEvan: Behind the mask Know you’re a big Marvel fan, so who’s your favorite superhero? SuperEvan: Iron Man, 100%. It’s either Iron Man or Thor. Iron Man’s character, Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr. just plays it so well. I just like the whole persona of Tony. How would you describe your own Warzone playstyle: aggressive, support, or a mix? SuperEvan: I would say I’m a mix of both. I’m more fast-paced than Tommey, but I still try to keep my head thinking ‘what’s the best move here?’ Just because I have Biffle as my teammate and Biffle’s just a psychopath, you’ve gotta let him go off the leash and he’ll go drop kills. This is how you outplay someone in Warzone pic.twitter.com/LF3IgF1Ywi — XSET SuperEvan (@SuperEvan__) April 9, 2021 But there’s been times where we both have been just flying at kids, just running headlessly, and we’ll destroy our competition. It’s just playing what they give you. You played a lot of sports growing up, so do you still have any tournament superstitions or pregame hype songs? SuperEvan: I don’t have a specific set of songs, but I would say this: I have one song that I always play before every tournament and it’s a Lil Baby song: “Sum 2 Prove.” I made that my motto. I have those superstitions. I had one where we won the last tournament, I had to wear the same shirt that we just won in. Because in basketball, whenever I played well in one game I would try to wear the same socks (I would wash them, obviously). Do you think that experience balling in AAU has translated into a competitive edge in gaming? SuperEvan: 100%, it’s not even a question. When people come in and try to ask me for tips and stuff, I just tell them “you’ve gotta treat it like any other sport, where you work on your weaknesses, you put the time in, and then you just build your strengths.” I definitely think playing basketball or just sports growing up definitely helps with my competitiveness now. As far as gaming, you’ve said NICKMERCS is an inspiration, but who are some of your favorite streamers currently? SuperEvan: It’s still Nick obviously. And then I added Tim, who he plays with every day, and CouRage. I wouldn’t really say anyone that’s competitive play, it’s more the content play. You know FaZe Swagg, has been a big part in my recent moves. He’s been a big help, he kind of took me under his wing a little bit and showed me the ropes of all the YouTube stuff, all the analytics you wanna look at. The biggest one is definitely Swagg, for sure. And even the Baka Bros, I’ve been hopping in with them a lot now, they’re a lot of fun to play with. I love ’em to death. Are there any competitive players you watch to work on your own game? SuperEvan: Aydan and Tommey, for sure. And even my own teammate, Biffle. There was this little moment where Aydan and Rated just didn’t lose a tournament, they were going off for two months, just winning every 2v2, so I was watching them. I take a lot from Aydan because I feel like my playstyle is a lot like Aydan’s, where it’s just fast non-stop movement, just running and gunning. And Tommey’s more like the head-on-the-shoulders kind of guy, so I kind of take the best of both worlds. Favorite Warzone meta? SuperEvan: I came up when the M4 no-stock, the very first meta ever, was a thing. That was me. I had the M4 with Ghost and an RPG. That was me. I loved it, I loved it. I grabbed it off the rip every single time and it was just money. It just felt right to me. Favorite games of all time? SuperEvan: Games in general or Call of Duty? I don’t even know why I asked that, it’s gonna be Call of Duty regardless. I would probably say Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Black Ops II — definitely my two favorite games. And yes, Warzone, absolutely. I have no choice but to throw it up there. Mixing it up a little, how about a favorite food? SuperEvan: Honestly, it’s probably not my favorite food now, but growing up — and I ate this until I was about 18, 19 — I would go to any restaurant and try to get it. It was chicken fingers, okay. Don’t make fun of me, I know it’s a little kid thing, but I loved chicken fingers. I always tell people who ask “how are you 6’5″?” “Well, I ate chicken fingers growing up.” I’m being dead serious. We go to a steak house? Chicken fingers. Italian place? Chicken fingers. Do you have any message for new viewers to the stream? SuperEvan: To be honest, not really. When the new viewers come in, I just let my gameplay really do the talking. The majority of people that watch me, they’re like “oh my god, you’re nasty at the game.” I’m not like NICKMERCS funny, it’ll be there every now and then, like when I play with the Baka Bros. But my main thing is the gameplay, for sure. Any content plans in mind? SuperEvan: The one thing I do want to step into and I know XSET can help with, is a lot of IRL stuff. That’s besides Warzone, but I think the IRL scene is only getting bigger and bigger, just like esports is.

  • “Super underrated” MW3 AR actually dominates in Warzone as SMG – Dexerto

“Super underrated” MW3 AR actually dominates in Warzone as SMG ActivisionThere is a “super underrated” Assault Rifle in Warzone that can actually dominate enemies when used as an SMG thanks to a “broken” attachment from Modern Warfare 3. When Modern Warfare 3 launched back in November, the Call of Duty devs brought about one of the biggest changes to attachments and unlocks in quite some time with the addition of Aftermarket Parts. Some of these Aftermarket Parts have been labeled as “pointless” by players, while others have actually turned weapons totally on their heads. Those that fall into the latter part of these are typically broken and overpowered, especially when it comes to Warzone. Well, that appears to be the case with the JAK Backsaw Conversion Kit for the Holger 556, as Warzone guru Metaphor believes that it is “broken” after turning the powerful Assault Rifle into an even deadlier SMG. “This is actually a super underrated SMG right now. I highly recommend giving this a try if you’re looking for something brand new to try,” the YouTuber said, noting that it is a “decent” sniper support weapon. Metaphor also added that it can be “awkward” to control at first, but it can be “really good” and “competitive” once you’ve worked out those initial kinks. Optic: Nydar Model 2023 – Stock: RB Addle Assault Stock – Rear Grip: Intruder Grip – Conversion Kit: JAK Backsaw – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – The YouTuber noted that you are “limited” with how you kit out the Holger as an SMG, and with it being awkward to use at first, that’s why his build is all about maximizing accuracy and handling. His claim that the Holger is “super underrated” can actually be backed up by WZRanked stats too. According to their numbers, the AR is 39th when it comes to popularity with players, so it clearly has some work to do to get back up the charts.

  • Super slept-on rifle has “nuts” TTK in Warzone 2 but with a big catch – Dexerto

Super slept-on rifle has “nuts” TTK in Warzone 2 but with a big catch ActivisionThere is a rifle in Warzone 2 that has a TTK to compete with some of the best weapons around, but there are a few catches to harnessing its full potential. With the Season 5 update, the Warzone 2 devs have shaken up the weapon pool in a way that we’ve not seen in a little while now. While the meta had been in a healthy position, the devs targeted the dominant Cronen Squall as their main big change amongst all the buffs and nerfs. Weapons across the LMG, SMG, and assault rifle categories were also tweaked, which has further shaken up the meta. Though, the TAQ-V and ISO 45 have comfortably settled in as the top two go-to weapons now. There are a few other options with “broken” TTKs that players are choosing to ignore somewhat – and that includes the FTAC Recon. But, there are a few catches with the battle rifle. Best FTAC Recon loadout for “nuts” TTK in Warzone 2 Season 5 Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal highlighted the powerful rifle in his August 13 video, as he went over some of the “super slept on” weapons that have deadly TTKs after all the changes. He got onto the FTAC as one of the better options but noted that it is for highly skilled players. “On paper, this thing is absolutely nuts. It’s right up there, conveniently, with the Lachmann 762. At 52 meters, this is going to have a 768m/s TTK if you’re able to land shots consistently,” he started. “That’s the asterisk here though. Landing shots consistently with this is not easy, and boy are you limited with ammo.” The battle rifle uses sniper rifle rounds and only has a maximum capacity of 15 rounds. So, you’re likely burning an attachment for that, and ignoring one that could help with the recoil. Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Optic: Schlager 3.4x – Magazine: 15-round mag – Ammunition: .458 High Velocity – WhosImmortal added that the weapon is ultimately “high reward” because of the TTK potential, but the barrier to entry will turn many players off. As per WZRanked stats, the FTAC Recon has barely gotten a look in with players, but it has a solid ‘B’ rating on their scale. So, who knows, maybe it’ll become a weapon of interest before long.

  • “Super broken” Warzone 2 melee bug “one-shots” enemies and ruins games – Dexerto

“Super broken” Warzone 2 melee bug “one-shots” enemies and ruins games ActivisionWarzone 2 guru Metaphor has highlighted a “super broken” bug with the Throwing Knife that allows players to “one-shot” enemies with melee kills. While guns – mainly LMGs and SMGs, currently in Season 5 – are usually the main way forward to victory in Warzone 2, the battle royale has had a pretty chequered past with melee weapons too. Back in the original Warzone, there were constant complaints from players that melee weapons were too strong. When landing in a game, some believed that it was better to use your hands than the starting pistol or early ground loot. That prompted several changes, but also brought about the Kali Sticks meta. Warzone 2 has been slightly different as melee weapons haven’t been as prominent, but there have still been a few issues. Most notably, players found the Tongfa baton was reminiscent of the sticks. Though, there could be a new one about to take over. Warzone 2 Throwing Knife “one-shot” kills enemies thanks to bug That’s according to Warzone 2 guru Metaphor anyway, as he highlighted a new bug with the Throwing Knife that allows players to “one-shot” enemies that are standing up. “It’s completely bugged right now. If you’re using an SMG and Throwing Knife, as long as you have the SMG out and melee with it, it’s a one-shot kill,” he said, noting that it won’t have the same effect on enemies who are crouched or prone. They have to be standing really. “It is unbelievably broken. The game is going to be ruined when everyone picks this up,” the YouTuber added. “It’s super broken and I pray they fix this soon because the game is going to be unplayable if everyone picks up on it.” As of writing, Metaphor is the only big Warzone content creator to highlight the issue so far, so it’s unknown just how widespread it has gotten in-game yet. The devs haven’t yet issued a fix, nor acknowledged it on either Twitter or their Trello board, so who knows how it’ll take before it gets on their radar.

  • Summit1g’s Molotov curse strikes again with hilarious Call of Duty: Blackout fail – Dexerto

Summit1g’s Molotov curse strikes again with hilarious Call of Duty: Blackout fail DreamHack | ActivisionSometimes the only way to deal with a meme about yourself is to fully embrace it, and that’s something that Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar will have to continue doing when it comes to Molotov in video games! The 31-year-old Twitch streamer is famous for one of the worst fails in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – killing himself with his own Molotov grenade after clutching a 1 vs 2 at match point in a DreamHack Austin elimination match. The moment has haunted summit ever since, especially considering the fact that his Splyce team would go on to lose the match in overtime, but he’s been good-humored about it and even has a Twitch chat emote dedicated to it. Well, that particular emote came in handy for anyone that was watching summit play Call of Duty: Blackout this weekend, as yet another potential victory went up in flames thanks to his own Molotov! Summit and his teammate, fellow streamer JoshOG, were among the final few players in the game and appeared to have an opponent trapped in a building as the circle closed in. Unfortunately, when they tried to work together to open a door and kill that opponent, disaster struck: After hitting the wrong key and almost burning himself to death, summit ran away while his duo was taken down by the player that they had been just seconds away from killing. Summit attempted to mend the damage that he had done and revive Josh, but the opposing player quickly rotated around the building and took him down too. Luckily, his viewers were totally supportive and didn’t tease him for his mistake… Okay, that’s not true, but we can’t blame them for laughing! “I’m not picking up Mollys in this game. I refuse,” summit said in response. “It haunts me bro, the Molotov moment haunts me!” If you’ve never seen the original fail, feast your eyes:

  • Summit1g’s molotov curse strikes again after Warzone shield glitch – Dexerto

Summit1g’s molotov curse strikes again after Warzone shield glitch Twitch: Summit1G/Infinity WardTwitch star Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar fell victim to yet another Molotov mistake after he accidentally engulfed himself in flames because he was unable to use armor and heals in Call of Duty: Warzone. Long-time fans of Summit will know that he has a bit of an up-and-down relationship with throwing Molotovs – no matter what game he is playing. It all stems from his infamous mistake while playing at DreamHack Austin for Splyce’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team when he killed himself with his own Molotov as they were on the edge of capturing a victory. Since then, the mistake has haunted him in games like CS:GO, Call of Duty, and even Escape From Tarkov – though he did get a bit of revenge when he got a direct kill with the flames in a CS:GO game in August. Despite that, it appears that he still can’t escape making the same mistakes. During his March 15 stream, the former CS:GO player had been playing matches of the newly-released Warzone battle royale when he was downed by an enemy but received a pick-up instead of heading to the Gulag. Upon getting back to his feet though, Summit was unable to use the armor he had collected in order to give himself a health boost. With the glitch proving to be pretty annoying, he and his teammates had the bright idea to have him be knocked once again to try and see if that fixed things. However as the streamer had no grenades in his arsenal, he had to find one via floor loot. He quickly stumbled across a Molotov and tried to down himself and scoot out of the flames so he could be revived. Instead, Summit didn’t escape the fire and found himself headed to the Gulag. Once he realized the mistake he made, the popular streamer threw his head in his hands as his teammates and viewers fell about themselves laughing. Of course, it was probably the right idea from Summit and his squad to try and counter the glitch by heading back down, but dying to his own Molotov made the whole thing pretty comical for everyone involved. No matter how far he tries to distance himself from the mistake, the 1G curse always finds a way to get the last laugh.

  • Summit1g slams Infinity Ward over balancing issues in Warzone – Dexerto

Summit1g slams Infinity Ward over balancing issues in Warzone Activision/Twitch: summit1gPopular Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar has pleaded with Warzone’s developers to nerf the game’s rocket launchers, following a number of frustrating deaths experienced on stream. Summit1g is one of Twitch’s most experienced streamers, regularly bringing a high level of gameplay to all titles he plays. He has recently turned his attention to Call of Duty: Warzone, the acclaimed battle royale that released on March 10. Summit has previously pleaded with Infinity Ward to raise the game’s footstep volume and, during his April 1 participation in KEEMSTAR’s Warzone Wednesday, he grew frustrated with the relative power of rocket launchers in the current build of Warzone. While moving through Fire Station, summit encountered an enemy on top of the building. Despite responding with some pretty accurate shots and downing the opponent, he was killed by the enemy’s RPG projectile a second later. This sent the 26-year-old on something of a rant in which he implored Infinity Ward to make meaningful adjustments to the strength of rockets in Warzone. “No way!” screamed summit. “This game kills my insides, like come on man. You’re gonna reward that guy, for being an a**wipe on top of f**king Fire Station with a rocket launcher? CoD, help us out!” In a second clip, the veteran streamer continued his rant, explaining that the strength of rockets encourages negative playstyles, as well as rewarding lower-skilled players who do not deserve the kills they get. “I can understand high-*ss buildings, stupid f**king circles, not punishing dipsh*ts who wanna sit on top of buildings you can’t get on top of without helicopters but f**k!” he raged. “Do we have to give them all the tools to make it that much easier? F**king claymores, bouncing betties, rocket launchers filled all over the motherf**king map, come on!” “Dude re-peeks like an idiot after getting completely cracked, knowing he’s gonna get his face knocked off his f**king shoulders,” he finished. “But, as long as he gets his f**king rocket off first, right?!” Read More: When is Modern Warfare Season 3? – Summit’s point is one echoed by other community members, who argue that the current build of Warzone makes it too easy for players to play this way, and punishes players who are using more common weapons, like ARs or SMGs. Infinity Ward have not said a lot regarding the power of explosives in Warzone but it’s clear that some players, summit included, want to see changes.

  • Summit1g slams Call of Duty devs over ‘broken’ Warzone audio – Dexerto

Summit1g slams Call of Duty devs over ‘broken’ Warzone audio Infinity Ward/Twitch: summit1gVeteran Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar has hit out at the developers of Call of Duty: Warzone, demanding they listen to the community, as the game’s audio continues to cause frustration for players. Despite being widely praised since its March 10 release, Warzone, CoD’s second attempt at the battle royale genre, has suffered a number of bugs and inconsistencies. While this is all fairly routine for a new release of Warzone’s size, players are keen to see all issues ironed out by Infinity Ward. The Modern Warfare developers were also responsible for Warzone, alongside support from Raven Software; the company who helped to perfect 2016’s Modern Warfare Remastered. One content creator who has taken particular issue with Warzone’s shortcomings is summit1g, the veteran streamer known for his versatility and the high level of gameplay he brings to all games he plays. On March 25, the former semi-pro CS:GO player was playing some Warzone when he launched into a scathing rant about the game’s audio issues specifically. “Counter-Strike’s f**king hide and seek mod takes more f**king skill than this whole goddamn game,” he said. “That’s a f**king hide and seek… sh*t! If I was gonna play hide and seek, I’d play that f**king game, man! Can I get some f**king footsteps, please?” “It’s unreal man,” continued Lazar. “I don’t hear that guy until he’s on top of me? Like Jesus there’s no sound effects going on around, no explosions? It’ f**king quiet as sh*t. And I don’t hear that guy until he’s on top of me? Fix your f**king game man.” The concluding portion of his rant was specifically directed at the game’s developers, as he implored them to both listen to the community and implement some “hot fixes”. Summit is not the only prominent streamer to take issue with the volume – or lack of volume – surrounding footsteps in Warzone. Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who has recently spent more time away from Fortnite, has previously tweeted to ask for the footstep audio to be turned up. The quietest sounds in the world: -A mouse farting -Snow hitting the ground -Enemy footsteps in Warzone— Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) March 22, 2020 “At least in trios I have goddamn eyeballs, but in solos you’re just out of luck!” Summit finished. Many players praised the addition of solos, but summit clearly feels that the lack of teammates affects the ability of players to identify enemies. Infinity Ward have been fairly tight-lipped when it comes to footstep audio. They have appeared fairly resistant to change in Modern Warfare itself, despite some pretty clear player feedback. We’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out.

  • Summit1G explains why CoD: Warzone’s vehicles are so overpowered – Dexerto

Summit1G explains why CoD: Warzone’s vehicles are so overpowered Twitch: Summit1G / ActivisionCall of Duty’s new entry into the battle royale genre, Warzone, has fast become a fan-favorite, and all of the top streamers in the world are getting on and trying their hand at it – and Jaryd ‘Summit’ Lazar is no exception to this. Since it released on March 10, Summit has been playing the game religiously and become pretty adept at it – which comes as no surprise to fans who have watched his skills transfer across pretty much any game he tries. Having played it so much, Summit has gained a pretty good idea of what’s good and what isn’t in Warzone and has revealed what he believes to be one of the most overpowered features in the game: the vehicles. Playing alongside 100 Thieves’ Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and NoahJ456, Summit had a pretty stacked squad and, when looking to make a quicker rotation, approached a truck to get going. As they ran towards it, Summit said: “I’m going to be honest, that truck and the blue car are overpowered as f**k, dude.” He went on, saying that he “runs people over all day” in the truck as it knocks them down in one hit while keeping drivers relatively protected. Funnily enough, Summit didn’t even realize one of the most powerful features of the truck until Noah told him that “you can’t shoot through the front window,” which left Summit absolutely flabbergasted. Ironically, after getting in the truck, the squad didn’t last too long, attempting to pounce on an enemy team, only to find themselves heading to the Gulag within a matter of seconds. That said, the trio made a good point: the truck is a super powerful tool to utilize in Warzone, and maybe there need to be some adjustments to make it fairer for potential victims to counter.

  • Summit1g reveals powerful M4A1 loadout he uses to win Warzone matches – Dexerto

Summit1g reveals powerful M4A1 loadout he uses to win Warzone matches Activision / Twitch: summit1gWith Warzone being such a huge hit following its launch, Call of Duty players are trying to find the perfect loadouts to use in the battle royale game – and Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar might have found it. One of the main features of Activision’s newest entry into the battle royale genre is the Loadout Drop, which costs $6000 and allows players to pick up any loadout from their public match classes and use them in the mode. Though a divisive feature, this, of course, means people have had to experiment with some of their class loadouts to be usable in Warzone, and Summit’s might just be the best we’ve seen, combining stealth and range to help him maintain an incredible record. If you’ve played the game much at all, you’ll know an Overkill class – featuring two primary weapons – is a near-necessity in Warzone, and can greatly alter your chances when you drop in on Verdansk. This usually features an M4A1 assault rifle and some kind of sniper rifle. So what does Summit use on his M4 Overkill class? Let’s take a look. Primary Weapon: M4A1 Assault Rifle Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier – Optic: Corp Combat Holo Sight – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – Secondary Weapon: Kar98 Marksman Rifle Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6” – Optic: Sniper scope – Stock: STVOL Precision Comb – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – The most notable addition to each gun is the Monolithic Suppressor, which is great for keeping Summit concealed on the minimap when shooting, making enemies second guess where they’re being shot from at any given time. Outside of his two primary weapons, Summit’s perks are Cold-Blooded, Overkill, and Amped: the former keeping him hidden from the ever-present thermal sniper scopes, and the latter allowing him to swap weapons faster in case he finds himself in a bit of a predicament. Finally, a Semtex and a Smoke Grenade occupy the Lethal and Tactical grenade slots, with the smoke being especially helpful if he ever needs to make a sneaky getaway, which could be the difference between a win and a loss in battle royale games. Although everyone may not be quite as skilled as Summit, we can see why he runs this class: it’s perfectly built to pick up wins and offers itself to a more stealthy playstyle, which is particularly helpful to a map as vast as Verdansk where you want to keep your position as secret as possible. Start using this loadout, and you might see your Warzone win record start picking up on another level.

  • Summit1g is furious when Black Ops 4 crashes at the worst possible moment – Dexerto

Summit1g is furious when Black Ops 4 crashes at the worst possible moment Popular Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar was enraged when he became the unfortunate victim of his Black Ops 4 crashing at a massively crucial point of his Zombies game. Summit1g was playing Blackout alongside fellow streamer JoshOG, when the pair decided to ditch the battle royale mode and instead head to Zombies as they attempted to complete some of the game’s hidden Easter eggs. The duo had been playing on gladiator-themed map IX for close to two hours, tackling zombies and difficult bosses, when suddenly Lazar’s screen froze and his game crashed just seconds before they were set to take on the map’s final boss. “No! My game crashed,” yelled Summit1g in disbelief. “You’re going to fatal error me right there?” questioned the streamer, while JoshOG howled in frustration in the background. “There was only one more boss,” bemoaned Josh, who was clearly devastated to see their hard work go to waste. Summit1g was not impressed with Treyarch, fuming: “Call of Duty, that’s like two hours right there. Bruh. This is a full release, AAA game and you’re telling me after I did all your stupid fucking dumbass Easter eggs, that’s what happens!” The former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro player decided to stop playing Zombies for the night, instead going back to Blackout for a few games before turning his stream off. Summit1g isn’t the only player to get burned by Black Ops 4’s tendency to crash during Zombies, as recently 100 Thieves streamer NoahJ456 smashed a controller in rage when a similar occurrence happened to him.

  • Summit1g explains why Warzone is the “worst battle royale” – Dexerto

Summit1g explains why Warzone is the “worst battle royale” Twitch: summit1g/Infinity WardVeteran Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar has slammed Call of Duty: Warzone as a “camping simulator”, highlighting the map’s plethora of tall buildings as a major issue. Call of Duty’s sophomore battle royale effort has been widely acclaimed, hitting 50 million players within a month of release. Many fans have praised it as a faster alternative to Black Ops 4’s Blackout, but summit is among prominent content creators arguing it is suffering because of its map design. While streaming Warzone on May 3, summit grew frustrated with players camping on rooftops, waiting for opponents to pass them by. Summit took issue with rooftops that are difficult to access, especially those that are only accessible via helicopters. Summit was driving through the Superstore area of the Verdansk map, when an unseen enemy on a roof began to open fire on his car. Despite doing minimal damage and summit driving away, the enemy continued to shoot summit’s car, much to the streamer’s frustration. “Guy on top of a roof, who’d have thought?” he asked sarcastically. “You’d never have thought, chat. You would never see in a million years a guy waiting on a roof, especially in solos… Why do you guys have a game with just building-tops everywhere, that you can just sit on top of. Nobody thought of that? Nobody thought like ‘hey this is probably gonna be more campy than PUBG?’” The frustrations did not end there, however. While driving away from the first rooftop-based enemy, summit was ambushed by other players, who were sat on different rooftops. This compounded the streamer’s anger, causing him to go on an epic rant about Warzone’s map and negative play-styles. “Do you see how many people are moving round the map?” he shouted sarcastically. “There’s a ton. No, just kidding, they’re all on building tops… This is not a battle royale bro, this is camping simulator. You wanna go into a f**king game and camp your d**k off, this is the one.” Summit’s point is proved perfectly as, mid-rant, an enemy on top of Stadium opens fire on his vehicle. The top of Stadium is one of many POIs that can only be accessed via a helicopter. “I think this is the worst battle royale that exists today, hands down,” he said. “You guys thought, coming up with a battle royale and leaving every rooftop open – after a gulag, that you can just spawn in [to a rooftop] again!” Summit’s argument is essentially that the amount of buildings with hard to access rooftops encourages camping. Players who actually travel round the map and play positively are at a major disadvantage. “Every building open, 150-man battle royale,” he finished. “It’s a hide and seek simulator! There’s not a lot of talent that goes into your f**king laser-beaming of other humans in their nut-sack area. Don’t even have to go for headshots really, and you made it so you can camp in every building. Let’s just throw thermals on top of that, and you got Call of Duty.” Infinity Ward have confirmed that changes to the Verdansk map will be coming in Season 4, which kicks off at the start of June. Until then, it appears that summit will just have to deal with the game’s shortcomings and the amount of players who are on rooftops.

  • Summit1g explains why he’s not enjoying CoD: Warzone’s combat – Dexerto

Summit1g explains why he’s not enjoying CoD: Warzone’s combat Twitch: Summit1G/Infinity WardTwitch star Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar has explained why he doesn’t “like this type of combat” in Call of Duty: Warzone, noting that it is a little too similar to Apex Legends. After weeks of speculation, teases, and hype, Call of Duty: Warzone finally released worldwide on March 10, giving fans of the battle royale genre another title that they could try their hand at. Since then, over 6 million players have dropped in for at least one game, with streaming stars like Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek and Dr Disrespect making it their new game of choice. Though they’ve had complaints about the game, no streamer has gone as far as Summit has in explaining why he isn’t a huge fan of how the game currently plays. During his March 12 stream, the popular variety broadcaster has been playing Warzone when he found himself eliminated from a match and needing to be bought back. In his downtime in waiting for a redeploy, Summit chatted with his fans – with some telling him that he just needed to learn the game a little more. “You guys, I just don’t like this type of combat – the whole just spraying at each other and there’s not many opportunities to miss and it’s just who can miss as little as possible, that’s not my favorite type of gameplay,” he said. The former Counter-Strike player added that he felt that Warzone is “the same as Apex” as players will “bullet sponge, heal up, respawn,” and repeat similar processes over and over. “I’m telling you, if you haven’t played yet, that’s going to be a lot of your fights, you’ll have to get used to that.” Despite his complaints, Summit has continued to play Warzone on his streams, even pulling off some nice kills in the process. Whether or not he sticks around, or decides to head back to games like GTA V and Escape from Tarkov, still remains to be seen.

  • Summit1g explains why he hates playing Warzone solo – Dexerto

Summit1g explains why he hates playing Warzone solo Call of Duty / Twitch: Summit1gWhen Infinity Ward added a solo mode to Warzone only a week after it was released, there was rejoice from many players, who were desperate to drop in rogue rather than having to buddy up with two others. But, top streamer Summit1g thinks that after all the hype, solo mode just isn’t as fun to play. Summit, a former semi-pro Counter-Strike player and one of the biggest streamers in the world, attracts tens of thousands of fans to his daily broadcasts on Twitch, and Warzone has been his game of choice since its launch. However, unlike many other streamers, he hasn’t been swept head over heels by Call of Duty’s second battle royale offering, instead being more cautious in his hype levels, questioning if it would be able to hold his attention for long. Not convinced Warzone is gonna hold me for too long(we’ll see). The Plunder gametype however was pretty cool and could be better hopefully with some good updates to it. — summit1g (@summit1g) March 12, 2020 His opinion later took a 180 though, as the game slowly grew on him. He still wanted some updates though, mainly to iron out some of the annoying gameplay complaints that are shared by many. But it looks like adding a solo mode was not the change Summit needed. When trying to pick what to play next on his March 18 stream, a viewer suggested he try out solo Warzone, but summit1g simply wasn’t in the mood, explaining why for him, it just “kinda sucks.” “I don’t really like solo Warzone, well I haven’t given it a crazy chance, but, it kinda sucks to be honest,” he said. “Just dying, it kind of feels like another BR, where you just die, it’s over, people are very campy, very sweaty. You know, solos in every BR are pretty much the most unenjoyable experience on earth.” He concluded by explaining that if he was calling the shots at Infinity Ward, he would have chosen to add duos instead of solos, but hopes that the developers will add that option soon. Thankfully for Summit, he was able to find some fellow streamers to squad up with so he could avoid the plight of having to play solo in Warzone. Presumably, IW do have plans to add more options in the future, and solo may not even be a permanent addition. In Apex Legends, for example, they have rotated solo and duos modes, giving players options at different times. There have also been calls to add a four-person squad mode, and the developers even teased the possibility of five-player teams too.

  • Summit1g explains how Warzone should punish campers – Dexerto

Summit1g explains how Warzone should punish campers Twitch: Summit1g / ActivisionAfter playing a lot of Warzone since its release, Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar has decided that something needs to be done about rooftop campers – and thinks he’s found the perfect solution. Like many other streamers, the former semi-pro CS:GO player has been grinding the Call of Duty battle royale title since it came out on March 10, amassing a multitude of wins and proving why he’s such a highly respected player in the FPS field. However, that’s not to say he’s completely in love with the game: it’s not perfect and clearly still has its creases to iron out, and Summit thinks one of these is killstreaks. While Summit doesn’t address everything you can pick up in the Buy Station, such as Armor Plates or UAVs, he says that airstrikes need to be much more powerful to counter campers on top of buildings. “There needs to be more anti-roof b**ches,” he said, referring to players who “sit on buildings the whole game.” “Make the airstrikes big so they strike the whole building top and make them instant so you can’t even respond to it,” he added, noting that the audio and visual warning players get should be removed from the game entirely. This is actually an extremely common complaint from Warzone players; it seems that if you’re not sat on top of a building, you’re destined to lose, so players end up playing much slower than they normally would and punishing anyone caught roaming the streets. While Summit’s idea works against roof campers, it would also be an issue in the later circles which are rife with players dropping airstrikes to catch an easier win, so it could potentially cause issues in that scenario. While Infinity Ward haven’t commented on rooftop campers, it may be something they’re looking at to try and make more playstyles viable in Warzone.

  • Summit1g in disbelief as 1G Molotov curse returns in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Summit1g in disbelief as 1G Molotov curse returns in Modern Warfare Popular Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘CS:GO moment while trying out the newly released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. During his days as an aspiring CS:GO pro, summit1g fell victim to his own Molotov in what was a crucial round while filling in for Splyce’s former roster at a tournament. The incident quickly became a meme among the community, as ‘1G’ became the brand for any self-inflicted Molotov death, constantly reminding the Twitch star of his unfortunate mishap. While trying his hand at the newly released Modern Warfare, the popular streamer was once again struck by the infamous 1g curse while trying to throw back an opponent’s grenade. The streamer initially tried to escape the grenade after seeing the indicator pop up on his screen, however, he assumed that he could not avoid it and turned to throw it back, unaware that it had rolled out of harm’s way. As Summit had walked out of range from the live grenade, the option for him to pick it up no longer became viable, which instead caused him to throw his own lethal grenade that happened to be a Molotov. In all his panic, Summit ended up throwing the Molotov directly into a nearby door causing one of his in-game characters to perish in the flames once again. Despite his failed play, the streamer managed to see the funny side in the moment and began to laugh at his hilarious blunder. Summit tried to explain what had happened, aware that the iconic 1g emotes were soon to fill his chat for the special occasion, “I was trying to throw it back but it already got blown up so then I threw the Molotov.” This is not the first time that Summit has relived his infamous Molotov mishap, as his playthrough of the fan-favorite title ‘The Last of Us’ also saw him suffer a similar fate.

  • Summit1g claims controller players have the advantage on Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Summit1g claims controller players have the advantage on Modern Warfare Popular Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar has explained why PC players are at a disadvantage on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and how controller players disproportionately benefit from aim assist. The console vs PC argument has been raging for a number of years, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Games like Fortnite and Modern Warfare have recently incorporated crossplay, seeing PC players and console finally facing off against one another. The main mitigating factor console players receive to even the playing field is aim assist, meaning there is a small amount of magnetization when aiming close to an enemy. PC players do not receive this benefit, being left to their more precise mouse movements. Modern Warfare is the first Call of Duty game to incorporate crossplay, with the main pre-match lobby indicating what platform players are competing on. Despite the widely-praised implementation, summit1g has criticized the move as unfairly benefitting console players, explaining that the boost provided by aim assist is often too powerful. “I know you need aim assist for controller, I know you do. I get that,” the streamer said. “But f*ck! It’s not viable PC – mouse and keyboard and controller competing against each other. It’s just f*cking not.” “Those guys shoot their ARs it’s like a f*cking laserbeam,” he continued. “Are you kidding me? I have to pull down to compensate. They just have to put their crosshair in the right spot.” He goes on to explain that, even when PC players lock on to an enemy at the start of a gunfight, the lack of aim assist paired with recoil makes it seriously difficult to ensure all shots are accurate. This contrasts to console, where aim assist makes it disproportionately easy to ensure players hit five or six consecutive shots. “My wrist could flinch as I click, who f*cking knows,” he finished. “I don’t have the magnetization to help me.” While summit clearly feels the current situation is unfair on PC players, many have been quick to compliment Infinity Ward and Activision for the implementation of crossplay in Modern Warfare. Read More: How to use smoke grenades to win MW matches – It is the first time in Activision’s incredibly popular FPS series that Xbox, PS and PC players can go against one another in the same lobby. Despite its implementation, professional Modern Warfare will still be played exclusively on PS4. While this is partly down to Sony paying Activision for exclusivity rights, it also suggests a knowledge that the ‘level playing field’ is not quite level.

  • Summit1g can’t contain his rage after ridiculous 9 Bang death in Blackout – Dexerto

Summit1g can’t contain his rage after ridiculous 9 Bang death in Blackout Summit1g felt the true power of 9 bangs in Blackout and he couldn’t hold back his anger, launching into a brutal tirade of the game. Summit has been playing Blackout almost daily since its release on October 12, and has generally seemed to enjoy Call of Duty’s first foray into the battle royale genre. However, like many Blackout players, there is one item particularly that Summit is not a fan of (and no, it’s not the molotov). The 9 Bang grenade, an extremely powerful concussion/flashbang which blinds, slows and disorients players for up to 6 seconds, has a been a point of contention in the community since the Blackout beta. Thankfully, Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar has said that changes are in the works for 9 Bangs, hinting at “less redundancy and less punishing to your mobility.” As of right now though, 9 Bangs are still absolutely deadly, to the point where being hit by one is essentially game over. But, Summit wasn’t just angry about the effects of the 9 Bang, but from how far he was hit by it. After dying and watching the kill cam, which actually showed another enemy killed him, not the one who through the 9 Bang, Summit1g still couldn’t regain his composure. “It’s mind boggling dude. He fucking 9 banged me from so far, at the bottom of the fucking hill, and took two SDM shots with no armor. Like, dude, please!” Since Summit’s main complaint seemed to be how far the 9 Bang was thrown from, it doesn’t look like that will be changed in future updates, at least judging by Vonderhaar’s hints. • Summit1g blows up himself, Ninja & Dr Lupo in ultimate Warzone fail – Dexerto

Summit1g blows up himself, Ninja & Dr Lupo in ultimate Warzone fail Summit1g, Twitch / Ninja, MixerTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was left speechless during the $50,000 Code Green tournament in Call of Duty: Warzone after he and Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar dropped out of the sky, as their helicopter suddenly blew up. The two streamers, who host regular livestreams on Mixer and Twitch respectively, came together to form what you would think to be a perfect combination in CoD’s latest battle royale competition – linking up with Ben ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo for the event. However, it didn’t all quite go to plan. Summit has had his fair share of hilarious gaffes in the past, including setting himself alight in multiple titles – most notably in a CounterStrike: Global Offensive’s DreamHack tournament in Austin, 2016 – but this one might be up there with the very best. The three took to the skies in one of Warzone’s choppers, eyeing up enemies on the ground, and it didn’t take long for the leader of the 1G Squad to make a fatal error. After spotting a few opponents on the ground near Verdansk International Airport, trying to plot their escape in a truck, summit pulled out his rocket launcher and thought it would be a good idea to blast them before they got away. Moments later, the group were shocked to see they had fallen to the ground and were all eliminated from the game. “WHAT?” Summit shouted, before realizing what he had done. “Dude, what just happened?” Ninja added, clearly shocked by what had transpired. Summit replied: “I… I rocketed us. I didn’t know you couldn’t shoot a rocket out a helicopter, did you guys? I’m sorry. I thought it was fine, I was locking onto a truck, I thought it was fine.” The streamer tried to further explain his decision to pull out the launcher, but the sounds of laughter didn’t die down for a few moments. He quickly dropped back into the Gulag, picked up a kill and returned to the action. This fail might have caused some brief embarrassment for the streamer, but he took it on the chin and did laugh it off in the end. After all, it’s not the first time this type of thing has happened on his Twitch channel. In terms of taking positives from the hilarious situation, while it might have cost him a life this time around in a tournament situation, it will serve as a reminder not to do the same in future streams.

  • Subtle Warzone feature reveals where your enemies are camping – Dexerto

Subtle Warzone feature reveals where your enemies are camping Infinity WardCampers in Warzone can easily be spotted with the help of an extremely subtle feature that you might have missed. In the midst of the chaos of Infinity Ward’s battle royale, it can be easy to get caught up in the moment. Whether you’re sandwiched between two squads or driving across Verdansk, players rarely stop to take in the sights and sounds. As a result, one remarkable detail appears to have been glossed over since Warzone’s release — an interesting environmental detail that could just help you take down Modern Warfare campers with ease in your next game. If you happen to be running through a forest in Verdansk, there’s a surprisingly easy way to keep an eye out for opposition. While Heartbeat Sensors come in handy and UAVs will always be elite, there’s a barebones method of revealing enemy positions. Keep an eye out for birds. It’s as simple as that. As enemies roam through the trees, birds will take flight to get away. If you see a flock of birds emerging nearby, get ready for a fight as an opposing player is guaranteed to be close. While others have reportedly seen just one or two birds flying away, an entire flock was spotted in this example from Reddit user ‘Noahthegoofy.’ A few seconds after the sighting, low and behold an enemy appeared on top of the hill. This could easily help shut down opposing squads hiding away in the forest until the endgame. A quick look to the sky as birds appear and suddenly you’ll know where to push for your next targets. Once the birds disappear out of sight, however, there’s no conclusive proof that the feature will come back into play. So be sure to remain extra vigilant. If you’re strapped for cash and running with the most generic loot, this simple detail could still give you the leg up. Even if the nearby enemies are running with Ghost, birds will give away their position. There’s seemingly no way to avoid this gameplay feature without steering clear of forests altogether too, so it’s always good to keep in mind!

  • Subliners’ Kismet slams “wack” Paris Legion and calls owner a “joke” – Dexerto

Subliners’ Kismet slams “wack” Paris Legion and calls owner a “joke” YouTube: New York Subliners/Paris LegionNew York Subliners star Matthew ‘KiSMET’ Tinsley went on an impassioned rant against Paris Legion and the franchise’s owner, Drew McCourt, after his win over OpTic Texas in Major 4 qualifiers. Kismet arrived back in the Call of Duty League with the Subliners in May following Major 2, with a huge uphill battle for the side to qualify for Champs. He’s helped turn the team around completely, with Subliners leading the way in Major 4 qualifiers at the time of writing with a flawless 4-0 record. Kismet could have ended up on a completely different struggling team earlier in the season, though, with talks occurring between his Challengers team, Texas Nation, and Paris Legion — but it all went horrendously wrong. With the Subliners flying and Paris still struggling to notch a third win in the league, Kismet was in the Twitch chat of Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto’s Twitch show ‘The Flank’, talking about Paris Legion and calling them out over their decision-making. Typing in the chat, he said: “Paris had the chance to get our whole Texas Nation roster and decided against it. Drew [McCourt, Paris Legion owner] doesn’t spend money … We said we’d play for minimum after Major 1.” Of course, Kismet is no stranger to Paris Legion, having represented the side during the Modern Warfare season — and having his own issues with them back then, too. “They forced me in Cali [during] Year 1 to pay a $6k rent and said no to TX and after, told me I was gonna have to live and play in France,” he explained. “That org is wack … I told Drew he was dumb and he dropped me on my head after telling me that. F**king joke of a guy.” It’s impossible to say where Paris Legion would be now had they picked up Kismet and his Challengers teammates, but it would be incredibly difficult for them to be doing much worse. While there have been questions over Paris Legion in the past, they’re set to start a whole new era in the 2023 season as they relocate to Las Vegas. Some have argued that this move is a huge disrespect to the CoD esports community, but whether it brings better fortunes to the CDL outfit remains to be seen.

NYSL began building momentum at its hometown major in 2022, which Brooklyn hosted. Major IV 2022 was one to remember, as the hometown New York Subliners made an improbable run to the grand final. Kings Theater provided a surreal setting with a raucous crowd and atmosphere. The Call of Duty League scheduled Major IV to return to Brooklyn and the Kings Theater in April 2023, but the Subliners announced New York will no longer be hosting the event. New York Subliners cancel Major IV On December 20, the New York Subliners announced, “due to a variety of circumstances, we will not hold Major IV this year.” The organization added, “We know last year was one for the ages, and we hope to be reunited with all of you in our hometown in the future.” A report from esports.gg says, “part of the reason for the cancellation of the New York Major is the small size of the theater. Kings Theater does not have enough room to host CDL matches and the Call of Duty Challengers Open simultaneously. The Subliners resolved the issue last season by partnering with Oxygen Esports to host the Challengers Open in Foxborough, MA. The Call of Duty League has not announced where the event will be moved to. Esports.gg hinted at the major possibly being hosted by the Florida Mutineers. Subliners announce Clayster returning as starter for CDL Champs CDL / PexelsThe New York Subliners have officially announced that their Call of Duty veteran, James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, is returning to the team’s starting lineup for CDL Champs 2021. Clayster surprised the entire CDL community when he and NYSL announced that the three-time CoD world champion would be benching himself on July 20 following a string of losses in Stage 5. Citing mental health struggles, the renowned veteran AR stepped down and New York struggled to fill the void. With Conor ‘Diamondcon’ Johst taking Clay’s place in the starting lineup, the Subliners made up for lost practice time and finished at a reasonable 7-8th place in the Stage 5 Major. • StuDyy Returns to the compLexity Gaming Call of Duty Team In a New Role – Dexerto

StuDyy Returns to the compLexity Gaming Call of Duty Team In a New Role Jeremy ‘StuDyy’ Astacio has returned to the compLexity Gaming Call of Duty team after losing his spot on the team in April, but this time he’ll be taking on a completely different role. StuDyy burst onto the competitive Call of Duty scene during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season but the following year was when he saw the most success. Starting the Call of Duty: Ghosts season with Team JusTus and Curse New York, StuDyy was quick to impress and soon got the opportunity to join Team Envy along with legends like Joey ‘MerK’ Deluca and Raymond ‘Rambo’ Lussier. The talented youngster helped Envy to secure a second place finish at the 2014 Call of Duty Championship and numerous other top four placements before finally switching to Denial and helping them win UMG Dallas towards the end of the series. Advanced Warfare was a difficult year and, despite a slight resurgence during the Black Ops 3 season, results have been hard to come by ever since, including on Call of Duty: WWII. StuDyy was eventually dropped by compLexity Gaming in April of 2018 following run of poor events but on June 12th it was announced that he is returning to the team, but not as a player – the 23 year old will now be focusing his efforts on helping coL as an analyst: We’re happy to welcome back @JeremyStuD to #coLofDuty as the team’s analyst! pic.twitter.com/QYnvrygd5U — compLexity Gaming (@compLexity) June 12, 2018 StuDyy fans will be happy to hear that he is remaining a part of the competitive Call of Duty scene and his first job as analyst will be to help the team get ready for CWL Anaheim, which begins on June 15th. The compLexity Call of Duty team has been drawn in Pool D along with OpTic Gaming, Team Envy, and Splyce, so the players will need to be on their A game. Presumably StuDyy will also be helping the team through the remainder of Stage 2 of the CWL Pro League and the World Championship but it is currently uncertain whether he will be travelling with the team to events or working remotely.

StuDyy Plans on Returning to Competition for Black Ops 4 compLexity coach and former CoD pro Jeremy ‘StuDyy’ Astacio plans on competing again for Black Ops 4. StuDyy made the announcement on his stream in response to a fan question from the chat. The fan asked if StuDyy was planning on coaching next year for Black Ops 4. Do I plan on coaching for next year? Hell no. I want to be playing [Black Ops 4]. The question happened while StuDyy was streaming the Black Ops 4 beta. The team missed out on the CWL Pro League and hit rock bottom with a t28 placing at CWL Birmingham. He stayed on board as a consultant however, helping the new team in a coaching role. Pro players who were frustrated with WWII are showing excitement for Black Ops 4, due to its similarities with Black Ops 3. StuDyy had two top 6 placings at majors during the Black Ops 3 season and a top 4 at the CWL Stage 2 Playoffs. He placed top 12 at Champs and those BO3 results may be factoring in to his decision to turn pro again. The Ghosts season was his most successful as a professional, finishing in second place at the 2014 Call of Duty Championships with Team EnVy. He also won UMG Dallas 2014 on the Denial roster that featured ZooMaa, Replays and Saints.

  • Study claims Call of Duty players are more “racist” than Minecraft players – Dexerto

Study claims Call of Duty players are more “racist” than Minecraft players ActivisionA non-profit mental health organization’s study revealed Call of Duty players were more likely to be racist and misogynistic than Minecraft players, but not because of violent gameplay. Call of Duty has a history of controversy due to the violent content. HasanAbi labeled Modern Warfare 2’s campaign a “war crime simulator” because of scenes where, for example, the player is in control of a missile tracking a politician’s vehicle. The FPS franchise also struggles with a toxicity problem, as any player can probably recall a negative experience from the in-game chat. Activision attempted to crack down on CoD’s toxicity problem in September, announcing a ban on over 500,000 accounts and forcing 300,000 to change their names. Modern Warfare 2 features a new Code of Conduct that players must sign before playing. Does Call of Duty have a toxicity problem? In March, a study from Wordtips dove into the social media data across thousands of tweets and concluded CoD fans are more negative than any other game. Dr. Rachel Kowert studied the correlation between playing video games and toxic behavior. She told Vice Media that people who identify as “gamers” are likelier to exhibit extreme behaviors such as racism and sexism. Despite making strides in the right direction, Kowert’s study revealed Call of Duty players were more likely to be racist and misogynistic than those who played Minecraft. “This can vary across communities depending on what kind of people that you are spending a lot of your time with,” Kowert said. “I don’t think it’s necessarily about content but about the community in which you’re being immersed.” Kowert does not want her research to be taken out of context, emphasizing not reading too heavily into the study. She claimed, “I think that games are wonderful places that have more positive things to offer than negative things across the board.” Activision acknowledged a cultural problem with the CoD community, and the developers are taking steps to crack down on negative behavior.

  • Struggling Minnesota ROKKR drop MajorManiak from CDL starting lineup – Dexerto

Struggling Minnesota ROKKR drop MajorManiak from CDL starting lineup CDLThe Minnesota ROKKR are shuffling around their roster a bit following their recent struggles in the Call of Duty League. MajorManiak has been dropped from the starting lineup in favor of Challengers player Standy. There’s no denying that ROKKR have been one of the more underachieving sides in the 2021 CDL season, especially following a pair of sweeps in the Toronto Home Series. In an attempt to address those issues, the team has opted to sign amateur player Standy from the Challengers division. Standy will slot into the starting lineup in place of MajorManiak, who has been demoted to the bench for the time being. With Standy primarily being an SMG player, the team has opted to make Priestahh the second Assault Rifle player alongside Accuracy, which in turn left MajorManiak as the odd man out. They failed to qualify for the Stage 1 Major winners bracket, leading to a second-round elimination to Toronto Ultra and a 9th-10th placement. Their start to Stage 2 has been even worse; they were swept in both of their Toronto Home Series matches at the hands of Paris Legion and Florida Mutineers, two teams that most would consider them favorites against. They’ll hope that this roster shuffle, and bringing on a rookie like Standy, will lead to a massive turnaround for this team. He spent most of the last calendar year playing for Triumph, who recently the Challengers season’s ninth North American Cup. Watch now: Should Subliners gamble to make room for CoD’s next star? Standy will be making his ROKKR debut during Week 2 of Stage 2, which kicks off on Thursday, March 25. It’ll be baptism by fire for the rookie, however, as Minnesota kicks off the week with a match against OpTic Chicago on Thursday followed by Dallas Empire on Sunday. Two more losses would almost ensure that ROKKR start the Stage 2 Major in the first round of the losers bracket, but even just one victory against either of those two opponents would be a massive positive sign for the team. • Streamer loses his mind after killing Dr DisRespect on Blackout – Dexerto

Streamer loses his mind after killing Dr DisRespect on Blackout ShakeemTheDream | Dr DisRespectIt’s not every day that you get to frag the self-proclaimed ‘two time, back-to-back, 1993 – 1994 Blockbuster International Video Gaming Champion’ in a game, so it’s understandable that doing so would be pretty exciting. Dr DisRespect is one of the biggest and best streamers on Twitch, boasting over 2.8 million followers, and he’s pretty damn good at the games that he plays, too. So, when an up-and-coming streamer managed to to take the Doc down as his first kill in a game of Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, he was understandably excited! ‘ShakeemTheDream’, who currently has just over 2,000 followers on Twitch, was playing Call of Duty’s first attempt at a battle royale game when he spotted an opponent and managed to take them down from a distance by exploding a truck. Shakeem was totally oblivious to the fact that he had killed a Twitch superstar until one of his teammates pointed out that his Twitch chat were all losing the plot over what had happened: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry Doc, I’m sorry,” Shakeem said repeatedly, clearly in a state of shock that he had encountered one of his favorite streamers in-game. “No, no, no. I love Doc. No no no no.” It turns out that Shakeem is a man of many talents, though, as he decided to make it up to Dr DisRespect by playing the keyboard and singing to him: “come on Doc, Doc sing with me. Ohh Doc, I didn’t mean to kill you…” With a reaction like that, we’re sure that the Doc won’t stay mad at Shakeem for too long! However, revenge is sure to be just around the corner, so watch out!

  • Streamer gets Warzone 2 cheater instantly banned on stream – Dexerto

Streamer gets Warzone 2 cheater instantly banned on stream Activision BlizzardWarzone 2 cheater was banned live on Mason “Symfuhny” Lanier’s Twitch stream after he and his friends reported a player for cheating while spectating him. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 developers announced upgrades to their anti-cheat systems with the start of Season 3 to fight back against the cheaters. While trying to remove cheaters from your online game is a Sisyphean task, as updated cheats will pop up as often as anti-cheat updates themselves, it’s still a great feeling to witness a cheater getting their just desert with your own pair of eyes. Such a thing happened on Symfuhny’s February 18 Warzone 2 stream, when a cheater got banned after Mason and his friends reported a player under the suspicion of cheating after spectating them for a while. Warzone 2 hacker banned live during Symfuhny’s stream Symfuhny’s squad suspected something fishy after they were wiped in Al Mazrah’s trios so they stuck around and spectated the player that took them down. At first, the suspicious player was simply checking odd places and looking around in a peculiar manner, but soon after he started honing in on players he could not possibly be aware of and seemingly ignored some walls that should break his line of sight. When Symfuhny had reason to believe that the player is indeed using 3rd party software to gain an advantage he asked his friends to report the player for cheating to see what happens. After the reports were sent in the player got booted out of the game, most likely getting banned from the game. All of which was clipped and quickly spread through various communities that love seeing justice being dished out to cheaters. Activision and studios working on WZ2 and MW2 promised to continuously work on their Ricochet anti-cheat system to crack down on cheaters. While it’s probably impossible to uproot cheating in its entirety, continuously upgrading anti-cheat will definitely improve the experience for regular players.

  • Streamer frags out in Black Ops Cold War with Rockband guitar controller – Dexerto

Streamer frags out in Black Ops Cold War with Rockband guitar controller ActivisionCall of Duty players have been known to whip out some pretty outlandish controllers in years past, and now that trend has continued with Black Ops Cold War with one streaming using a Rockband guitar. Twitch streamer TheStevieP decided to play the game’s zombies and even multiplayer mode with the absurd controller, but was actually seeing some success with it despite its obvious limitations. While playing with a guitar may sound impossible, especially with a game as fast-paced as COD, TheStevieP found a button layout setup that gets the job done. “Walk is down on the strum bar, walking backward is up on the strum bar,” he explained. “To look around, red is to the left, yellow is to the right, blue is up, orange is down. And green shoots.” However, some of the drawbacks of playing with the guitar are that he doesn’t have a reload button or a grenade button that could get him into some serious trouble in the heat of a firefight. “If I get a kill in multiplayer I’m going to laugh,” he chuckled. “The person who dies to me deserves to be laughed at.” As it turns out, his remark was spot on, because just a little bit later, the streamer hopped into multiplayer to partake in some TDM on the infamous Miami map. After struggling with four deaths to his name, TheStevieP ended up getting into an extremely awkward firefight on a stairway. After missing his first few shots and taking some damage, he managed to finally land a direct hit, eliminating his opponent. “Yo!” he jumped up with his arms raised in victory. As he let out a hardy belly laugh, the streamer did end up falling himself, but it was perfectly fine by him, who still couldn’t believe he managed to pull off the frag. “Let’s go!” he beamed again with glee. The clip taking from the stream ended up being posted to Reddit where it received a whopping 3.8K upvotes by users on the platform who were impressed with the play. Black Ops Cold War is still very young so there is no telling what else streamers and content creators will try to up the ante in the bizarre controller department. As it stands though, this was one heck of a way to kick off the entertainment.

  • Streamer accused of hacking after helping kid get first Warzone win – Dexerto

Streamer accused of hacking after helping kid get first Warzone win ActivisionYouTube streamer ‘Samito’ thought he was doing a nice thing by helping a young gamer get their first-ever win in Warzone, but doing so earned him the wrath of other players who accused him of hacking. Call of Duty Warzone is one of the top battle royale games available, but it’s also nefarious for having many cheaters and hackers ruin matches. Despite the introduction of Ricochet anti-cheat, hackers have still managed to infiltrate the battle royale, and as such, even top level players have had to deal with accusations of cheating. That’s exactly what happened when Overwatch streamer Samito dropped into CoD Warzone and tried to help a new gamer get his first win. Warzone player accused of hacking after helping kid On May 31, Samito uploaded a video showing off the final moments of a Warzone match where he, alongside a young teammate, had just one remaining foe standing in their way. After tagging the chopper-flying enemy and shooting them down, the target had no choice but to glide away, urging Samito to call on the kid to secure the last frag. “Come on kid, you can do it, buddy!” Sam cheered. “We gotta get this little man the last kill.” Got this kid his first win in Warzone yesterday and he was pretty happy, we then got hackusated by some country boys 😂😂😂 We had 14 and we were sure to get the lil man at least 1, love moments like these these kids gotta start somewhere! pic.twitter.com/G2RYz8FE6L — Samito (@SamitoFPS) May 31, 2022 Despite the boy not nabbing the final elimination, the victory was earned. Sadly, the happy moment quickly turned sour as others in the lobby took issue with the gameplay. “Nice aimbot, dude,” one accused, leading Samito to defend himself by explaining how he was streaming. “You’re literally cheating, we just watched you.” For his part, the YouTuber was unfazed by the accusations and laughed them off, but felt like the ordeal was worth documenting on social media for the world to see. “We had 14 and we were sure to get the lil man at least 1, love moments like these. These kids gotta start somewhere!” he happily captioned the clip, leading some to even say that Sam would make a good dad. With Warzone 2 in development, hopefully Activision can also find a way to solve the hacker dilemma so sweet instances such as this don’t get bogged down by hackusations.

  • Stream sniper who tries to kill shroud fails miserably on Blackout – Dexerto

Stream sniper who tries to kill shroud fails miserably on Blackout A stream sniper who tried to kill Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek during a game of Blackout found out the hard way that you have to be extremely clever to outplay the former CS:GO pro player. Shroud had momentarily left his setup, leaving his character hidden in the bathroom of a house in the hopes that nobody would check it and kill him. Unfortunately, it became clear as soon as Grzesiek left that someone who was in his game was also watching his stream, as an enemy player could be heard opening a door in the house and settling in to wait on the popular streamer to come back and begin searching the house. Unfortunately for the stream sniper, shroud actually heard the noise from another room, and rushed back to his set up. “I swear I just heard someone open a door,” commented the Canadian, “I swear.” Shroud wasted little time hunting down his opponent, checking the main living area of the house, before rounding on the bedroom where the stream sniper lay in wait. Grzesiek quickly checked the room, spotted the enemy and placed down a barricade, blocking him into the room. The former Cloud9 member then quickly rushed out of the house, running around the side to jump through the bedroom window and eliminate his opponent. Unfortunately, he didn’t get the satisfaction, as his barricade had already killed the sniper. Shroud was pleased with his kill, laughing and telling his stream: “I heard a door open, I ran back to my computer when I heard a door open. I’m just glad that guy was clueless.” This clip is just the latest in a long line of amazing Blackout plays Grzesiek has made since the release of Blackout in October. Recently, shroud killed six enemies to win the game without even aiming down the sights of his weapon, and also managed to solo win a Code Red tournament match with a massive 20 kills.

  • Strange Warzone super jump bug is letting players reach new heights – Dexerto

Strange Warzone super jump bug is letting players reach new heights ActivisionSome Warzone players are experiencing a bizarre bug that gives them a ‘super jump’, letting them almost float across building roofs or cover more ground when traversing Verdansk. Warzone Season 3 has brought with it a whole host of new content, with an overhauled map and some serious weapon balancing changes to boot. Of course, a new season means new bugs and glitches, too. We saw plenty of out-of-map-glitches giving players free wins, something devs Raven have been quick to address. Now, though, some players are experiencing a ‘super jump’ and it looks about as crazy as it sounds. This glitch looks like it could prove particularly helpful, especially if you find a way to exploit it whenever you need it. Read More: Best Warzone Assault Rifles after AMAX nerf – In the clip below, you see ThanosBigSnap, shows how they “turned into Superman” during their travels across Verdansk, and it’s pretty envious. While looting up, trying to do the Adler contracts and traversing the map, ThanosBigSnap tries to jump from one rooftop to another. While the jump would normally be a tight one, they instead end up gliding across the area, almost surpassing the intended rooftop completely. This doesn’t seem to be something they did on purpose, and it’s not known whether there is a way to intentionally trigger this. In the comments, some are suggesting that it happens on certain points across the map, with the game thinking you’re in free fall, thus giving you a bit more of a ‘weightless’ type of jump. Whatever’s going on, it definitely looks fun to do and certainly makes things easier in Warzone. The question is whether Raven Software will find out what triggers it and manage to stop it.

  • Strange Warzone pre-game lobby bug is completely ruining matches – Dexerto

Strange Warzone pre-game lobby bug is completely ruining matches ActivisionWarzone is no stranger to strange bugs, but this one is taking over players’ games in the pre-game lobby and makes entire matches unplayable unless they go out of their way to fix it. From getting stuck inside of walls in the new Fortune’s Keep map or the persistent ‘spawn in the gas’ issue that has long haunted Warzone, there are plenty of ways to end up having an odd-experience in the game right now. This new bug might take the cake for the weirdest thing that’s causing big issues though since it technically starts in the warmup lobby and makes players put in quite the effort to fix it. Warzone’s out-of-bounds pre-game bug frustrates players The bug occurs when a player wanders out of bounds in the warmup area before a match. If the countdown timer reaches zero and players are loaded into the sky while someone is in the outer edges, that player will drop into Caldera with the “Return to Comba Area” warning indefinitely fixed to their screen. If that wasn’t bad enough, the accompanying sound will also stick around, making it nearly impossible to hear approaching enemies as well. Players have reported multiple ways to fix this, but they may not always work on the first try. One commenter suggested that simply traveling out of bounds the full map and then returning to the battlefield will fix it, and another added that taking fall damage will also zap things back into order. If neither of those things do the trick then it might be time to take a trip back to the menu and save the headache of dealing with the broken visuals and audio.

  • Strange Warzone glitch lets you teleport around the map – Dexerto

Strange Warzone glitch lets you teleport around the map Infinity WardModern Warfare players have found an unusual glitch with Recon Drones that lets you “teleport” anywhere you want in Warzone and multiplayer modes. Season 5 of Warzone finally arrived on August 5, bringing about plenty of content such as new weapons and map changes around Verdansk. While new ziplines were added and areas such as the Stadium have been made more accessible, players found another way to scale buildings with a strange “teleport” glitch. This bug seemingly allows you to fly around the map, picking off enemies from up high, and can be devastating against unsuspecting opponents. Call of Duty YouTuber Bubs shared this glitch, revealing that it could only be done with a friend when you have a recon drone each. Here’s how it works. How to Teleport in Warzone and Modern Warfare Once you have your Recon Drones, you’ll need to deploy yours and fly it into your friend’s character model. – When the drone appears to be clipping inside of the character, your friend will then need to activate their drone. – After they use it, they’ll be attached to your drone and you can fly them wherever you want. – Pilot the drone to your location of choice and simply press ‘exit’ to place the character in an unusual location. – Topic starts at 1:20 This glitch works on both Modern Warfare and Warzone, although it can be a little bit more difficult to find multiple recon drones at once in Verdansk. Bubs also revealed that there are invisible barriers in maps like Hackney Yard, which can let you float in the air and can catch a lot of enemies off guard from the sky. As seen with past game-breaking glitches, it is quite likely that this will be patched by Infinity Ward in one of their future updates.

  • Strange Warzone exploit lets you carry three weapons at once – Dexerto

Strange Warzone exploit lets you carry three weapons at once Infinity WardA new Warzone exploit has been found which can allow players to carry three different weapons at the same time in the battle royale mode. Warzone’s massive arena, Verdansk, offers players a variety of different terrain that can require them to adapt their playstyle depending on where they are on the map. One of the easiest ways to adapt is with the weapons you can find in loot boxes or in loadout drops, although with so much weapon choice, it can be hard to narrow it down to two weapons that work in all situations. As launchers are helpful for enemy vehicles and snipers are necessary for long-range fights, players will often find themselves at a disadvantage in some of the more situational battles if they opt for the SMGs and ARs classes, that are regularly seen in Verdansk. However, CoD YouTuber Silent Nine has uncovered a new exploit in Warzone that can give players three different weapons at once in the popular battle royale, allowing them to be more prepared for whatever comes their way. The bizarre glitch, which can be done solo, requires you to have a custom loadout made with a Riot Shield before loading into a match, and once you drop in, you’ll need to find an ATV to get the three guns. The three gun exploit can also be done with a helicopter as your vehicle, although the ATV makes the glitch a little easier and they are also more commonly found in Verdansk. From there you will need to call in, or find, a loadout drop on the map before going over to it and selecting your riot shield loadout. With a riot shield loadout equipped, all you’ll need to do is park your ATV near the dropped weapons on the floor, switch to the passenger seat, and if you’re close enough to pick up the gun, it should kick you off the vehicle and give you three weapon slots for the rest of the match. While there was another three weapon glitch in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, this is the first time that it can be done in Warzone and will likely be targeted by Infinity Ward to be fixed in one of their future patches.

  • Strange Warzone bug throws player into the void after using Stim – Dexerto

Strange Warzone bug throws player into the void after using Stim ActivisionA surprising new Warzone bug threw a player into the shadow realm after using a Stim, making the game-changing equipment a death trap out of nowhere. The glitch produces a jarring visual effect that covers the screen in flashes of white light, breaking the game for the person on the receiving end of it. One particular Reddit user logged the bug in a post that showed the conclusion of their 1v1 before the game slammed them through the void. As soon as his character went down in the battle royale, the screen normalized to show his dead body. “Anybody see this before?” they asked. “Confused af lol.” The glitch confounded other Warzone players who were also seeing the bug for the first time. “When you think you’ve seen all the glitches, they go and surprise you with a new one,” another player said. Lately, Raven Software has been targeting performance issues and much-needed bug fixes for Warzone. Just after the January 11 update, Raven released a follow-up patch that focused on performance issues and bug fixes. Since then there’ve been a few bizarre bugs like the flying cars that cheaters have been taking advantage of as well as controller issues that create problems mid-game. The Call of Duty team announced the delay of Warzone Pacific Season 2 on January 19, informing players that they would hold back the new content to “balance and optimize current gameplay experience.” As the team behind Warzone figures out long-term fixes across the game, visual bugs like this could be the kind of issues that end up getting resolved.

  • Strange Warzone bug lets you kill players before you even drop in – Dexerto

Strange Warzone bug lets you kill players before you even drop in ActivisionWarzone Season 5 has been one of the most exciting to hit the game. With tons of new changes in the meta, things are getting spicy. However, a new bug is popping up in Verdansk, as players are able to kill you before you even get to drop in. With the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update, we saw tons of new content added. From operator skins to weapon balancing, the game has played much differently. While each update brings new things to the game, there can also be some bugs and glitches that arise. The pre-game lobby is meant to serve as a warm-up for players as everyone loads into the game, but, with this latest bug, players have found a way to kill someone before they can deploy. Warzone bug lets you kill player before the match Most Warzone bugs can be extremely frustrating, from being invincible to getting shot through a wall, these can all have big impacts on a game. This Reddit clip posted by ‘Felochel’ showcases a brand-new bug that is creating chaos in the pre-game lobby. While waiting for a match to start players can warm up and kill one another but it normally doesn’t have any affect on the game… until now. In this clip, you see a player get executed right when the screen goes dark and the match is about to start. Instead of just putting the player in the plane to deploy, they instead end up with a death and had to wait to respawn. While the game has seen more humorous execution glitches like the T-Pose one, this can certainly change the way a game can play out. Since this happened in a Clash game, and not a normal Battle Royale, the player was able to respawn. However, if timed perfectly in a normal BR, there’s a chance this could send players straight to the Gulag and really shake things up.

  • Strange Warzone bug kicks players for inactivity despite moving – Dexerto

Strange Warzone bug kicks players for inactivity despite moving ActivisionA new Warzone bug has left players scratching their heads after being kicked for inactivity despite consistently moving and playing as normal. Despite Warzone’s enduring popularity, many players have grown frustrated with the prevalence of bugs and glitches in CoD’s sophomore battle royale. Whether it’s the demon gun glitch or the infinite stim issues, there always seems to be one problem or another affecting players’ abilities to have fair matches. Now, well into Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, another issue has emerged relating to players being mistakenly kicked for inactivity. Inactivity timers are common in almost all multiplayer games, seeing players booted back to the lobby if they’re AFK for a set amount of time. It prevents lobbies from being populated by players who aren’t actively participating in matches and ensures players aren’t given XP or in-game rewards for sitting in matches inactive. Any activity (even turning POV slightly one way or the other) should stop the inactivity timer in its tracks. However, that’s not happening in Warzone. A Reddit post, shared by u/ImCalcium, shows the player searching for enemies while playing around the map’s tall mountains. Despite regularly moving and scanning surroundings, they are inexplicably kicked for inactivity and returned to the main lobby. To make matters worse, it doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident. A number of Reddit users responded to the post to say that they had experienced similar problems, being kicked from Warzone matches despite playing and participating as normal. “This happened to my partner today,” one replied. “We were pinned down by two snipers. Then my partner gets booted.” As of the time of writing, Raven have not responded to the issue, but players want to see a swift fix to ensure they are not being randomly removed from matches.

  • Strange Warzone bug is still completely breaking trigger on guns – Dexerto

Strange Warzone bug is still completely breaking trigger on guns ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone is still facing a gun jamming bug that makes it impossible to shoot their enemies. Warzone’s bugs prevented players from playing the game at its fullest potential, and this one has yet to be addressed by Raven Software. Consistently plaguing the gameplay of the battle royale, the community has faced an array of glitches that have made the game almost unplayable. For example, the Buy Station problem that causes combatants to get stuck inside the station still appears from time to time. Like the Buy Station issue, the gun jamming bug has reared its head again, presenting issues for the Warzone community. Warzone gun jamming bug back at it again If you had just begun playing the battle royale recently, you may not be aware of the ‘gun jamming’ happening in Warzone. However, since its first documentation on March 11, 2022, it’s made it impossible for players to defend themselves against their enemies as using the shooting action doesn’t fire ammo. Redditor ElPeneTraitor uploaded a video that reiterated the need for a fix on April 15, as they attempted to fire – clicking the trigger button – but were left confused as nothing happened. Stomped by their inability to shoot, the Reddit user captioned the video: “Gun wouldn’t fire when I clicked! Anyone else had the bug?” Another Redditor answers the question with their own experiences, saying: “It happens to me sometimes, I click on the shoot button, but the gun won’t shoot for a second. I’m not tac sprinting or doing any animation; I’m even pulling my joystick back to be sure not to be shooting… f***ing annoying.” Between March 11 and April 15, Raven Software has offered about five patches to remedy general bugs found in the game, but this glitch wasn’t one of them. With the problem continuing to give players a hard time, it will be interesting to see when and how the developers stop guns from jamming in this way.

  • Strange Warzone bug gives players 8 weapons at once from a single loadout drop – Dexerto

Strange Warzone bug gives players 8 weapons at once from a single loadout drop ActivisionA new bug has popped up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, and while this particular glitch provides players with duplicate loadout weapons (and is much less annoying than most unintended exploits), it can come at a cost for your teammates. In a rare break from the near-constant flood of game-breaking (or at least majorly inconvenient) bugs that have plagued Warzone since launch, a new glitch has appeared for some players in Season 3 that can benefit them instead of ruining their time in Verdansk. This particular unintended gameplay mechanic is a bizarre occurrence tied to the game’s loadout drops. The bizarre glitch first began circulating on social media less than two weeks into the battle royale’s third Black Ops-era season. In a post shared to Reddit by one Warzone player, they showed off the surprise weapon duplication firsthand. In the clip, a player can be seen sorting through the loadout drop screen, where you choose a set of weapons from your ten current options. After selecting a class, the weapons appear in the player’s inventory, but two unintended side effects follow shortly after. The loadout drop disappears (something that is only supposed to happen after your entire team has selected their gear) and four copies of each weapon (in this case, an HDR sniper rile and RPG) appeared on the ground next to the now-deflated crate. At first glance, it seems this bug could be extremely helpful by providing multiple copies of a loadout for free (and in some cases, this certainly would come in handy). However, it also takes a toll on any teammates who weren’t able to select their own loadouts before the glitch occurred. In the comments of the Reddit post, another player reported that the same exact thing happened to them, but they discovered that “although you get four loadouts, the box will vanish so your friends won’t be able to get their [own] weapons, only yours [on] the ground.” If you and your Warzone buddies all run the same class, this could be very helpful since you’re getting five loadout drops in one go. However, if each of your teammates prefers a different playstyle, they might not be too pleased with you taking away that opportunity. While Raven Software isn’t tracking the issue yet, it’s likely the developer will pick up on the glitch soon and work to get it patched. If you run into the bug before then, make sure to enjoy your free guns — just watch out for your teammates if you end up squandering their loadouts in the process.

  • Strange Warzone 2 vehicle trick makes driving much easier – Dexerto

Strange Warzone 2 vehicle trick makes driving much easier ActivisionThis surprising Warzone 2 vehicle trick makes driving easier than normal and could be a lifesaver in a desperate situation. Warzone 2’s vehicles are notoriously difficult to drive. Since launch fans have launched neverending complaints over their preference for the vehicle style of its predecessor. While there’s been no word from Infinity Ward or Raven Software on whether or not they’re considering changes to the game’s driving mechanics, this tip does make it significantly easier to make sharp turns and to drift around objects in the short term. Warzone 2 vehicle trick makes driving way easier This trick comes from TikToker GamingUtopia who showed it off on January 28. All that it requires is for someone to shoot out the back tire of a vehicle (in this case a hatchback) and then drive as they normally would. Although it may seem counterintuitive at first, it does make a difference in handling and the effect is undeniable when making incredibly sharp turns. Commenters also reported that the effect is even stronger when driving on sand. In the video, Utopia remarks that it feels more like driving in the original Warzone, and while it’s not a 1-to-1 experience, it certainly does feel closer to those cars. We’ve confirmed this works on the hatchback and to a lesser degree on the Chop Top but results were lackluster on heavier vehicles. This information will come in handy often though, as the beefier and better-protected cars will often be hotly contested. While the other two may not sponge up bullets, being more agile can be a worthwhile tradeoff for anyone trying to make a dastardly escape. It’s important to only shoot out a single tire though, as blowing out both of them will render the car virtually useless and send anyone inside careening into a wall, guard rail, or off of a mountainside. Combining this with IceManIsaac’s tips on how to use vehicles in combat could be an absolute game-changer for the average player.

  • Modern Warfare & Warzone glitch makes enemies totally invisible – Dexerto

Modern Warfare & Warzone glitch makes enemies totally invisible ActivisionModern Warfare and Warzone players have been complaining about a glitch that is rendering their enemies invisible and making it much harder to have a successful game. Although there wasn’t a major update on July 14, a number of players started to report that they were being killed by seemingly invisible enemies, and couldn’t figure out what was going on. Of course, in the game you can use certain angles and positions to your advantage and see enemies that can’t see you – but this seems to go one step further. While once upon a time you could pop Active Camo to make yourself invisible in Call of Duty, that’s not an option in Modern Warfare or Warzone, but there does seem to be an issue that is preventing enemy character models from appearing on screen. A number of players had mentioned it throughout the day on July 14, but it became evident that there was a big issue when the below clip started to circulate. Posting the footage to Reddit, BourbonKing was raiding Zhokov Boneyard when they started getting peppered through the plane they were searching. Finally, they were taken out and sent to the Gulag, but it was completely unclear where the enemy was – until the killcam popped up. As it turned out, when Bourbon was finally killed, they saw exactly where the opponent was: and they were directly ahead, stood in the doorway, as clear as day. While those in the comments seemed unsure over whether it was just a glitch or the player was hacking, it seems unlikely that this is a hack – and if it was, it was a really, really good one. Players were reporting issues in both Warzone and Modern Warfare multiplayer, but so far Infinity Ward are yet to make a statement on the glitch but, needless to say, they’ll want to look into it and get it fixed sooner rather than later.

  • Strange Modern Warfare trick lets players “sprint” while prone – Dexerto

Strange Modern Warfare trick lets players “sprint” while prone Call of Duty players have uncovered a way to get sprinting like speed while prone and crawling – and managing to do so without projecting any sound. The highly-anticipated Modern Warfare finally released back on October 25, but fans have been split in their opinions since that point. Many Call of Duty players, both casual and competitive, have praised elements of the game but it has also been criticized for a multitude of reasons as well – including the general feel, the maps, and a growing number of bugs. While bugs are to be expected in any title, they’ve only added to the growing frustration with Modern Warfare. Yet a new problem has reared its head that combines sprinting and going prone in one strange combination. In a post to the Modern Warfare subreddit, user klylelilanglang showcased a video from a recent game where, alongside two teammates, he had uncovered the strange method. In the video, the Redditor’s two pals showed off the difference between the normal crawling speed and the player who had managed to kick the pace up a notch. Despite giving the normal speed player a head start, the speedier player caught up within the blink of an eye and overtook them moments later. While one Redditor questioned how it was possible, stating that it could be “pretty overpowered,” others stepped in to explain how it had happened. By hitting the floor, quickly sprinting, and then going prone again, the players managed to combine quick button presses to kick up the speed. However, others pointed out that they could be simply “snaking” – a problem that has reared its head in previous Call of Duty titles. As of writing, the Infinity Ward developers that visit the subreddit and respond to threads about similar problems, have not done so. With the battle pass and first season content update for Modern Warfare rolling out on December 3, their focus could very well be on that and a quick fix for this speeding problem might be left for the future.

  • Strange Modern Warfare glitch has players spawning underneath maps – Dexerto

Strange Modern Warfare glitch has players spawning underneath maps Infinity WardCall of Duty players have been running into an issue that’s seeing them spawn underneath the map and instantly die in Modern Warfare, though, nobody can explain why. The launch of the newest installment to popular Call of Duty subseries came all the way back in October, and while players have been enjoying the new content in multiplayer thanks to the battle pass and new seasons, there have been a few problems. Players have run into bugs that have stopped them playing the game and needing to redownload several files, exploits with getting an “easy nuke,” and even glitches that turns those who are using the Ghost operator invisible. Yet, one unexplainable issue has been rearing its head – forcing players to spawn under the map after dying. The problem was pointed out by Reddit user AyeFreddyB, who posted a video from a recent game of theirs on the Gun Runner map. Poking fun at their camping style of play, the Redditor showed that they had been sat on the rafters above the Munitions Depot when they were picked off by a longshot from the metal containers. As the respawn counter ticked down, AyeFreddyB was set to be flipped to the other side of the map, though that didn’t happen. As they respawned, the Redditor was immediately placed underneath the map and sent back to the respawn menu as they died almost instantly. Some commenters joked that AyeFreddyB got what they deserved for camping, but it’s clearly something that shouldn’t be happening in Modern Warfare. Members of the Infinity Ward team are active on the subreddit but, as of writing, have responded to the issue so it remains to be as to whether or not they are aware of it. If they are, players will be hoping that a fix for the issue isn’t too far away.

  • Strange Modern Warfare exploit lets you pick up unlimited guns – Dexerto

Strange Modern Warfare exploit lets you pick up unlimited guns Infinity WardModern Warfare players have found an unusual exploit with a shield turret killstreak in-game that lets you pick up and use as many weapons as you want. The latest Call of Duty title has plenty of weapons for fans to choose between, with even more teased to be on the way, but each loadout can only carry two weapons, forcing players to narrow their options with each class. However, some players have found a glitch in Modern Warfare, where you can seemingly get around this two-weapon restriction and store any extra weapons that are lying around in-game. Unlimited gun glitch in Modern Warfare While there has previously been a bug that could allow you to grab an extra weapon in Modern Warfare, this new “unlimited guns” glitch seems to let you pick up as many you want. Call of Duty YouTuber Bubs was among the first to share this glitch, revealing that you could store as many weapons as you want as long as you managed to earn a Shield Turret killstreak. After getting the Shield Turret, Bubs explained that players would need to position the killstreak near any guns on the floor to equip them as well. Topic starts at 1:30 “You want to hop on the shield turret and quickly off and basically, at the same time, pick up the gun,” the YouTuber added, “this has to be done really fast or otherwise it’s not going to work.” It was also shared that this exploit works in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer and co-op modes, although it has yet to be replicated in Warzone. He later revealed that, while he has only done it for up to eight guns, players can choose to do more if they need but your loadout will be reset once you die. As with all exploits, it is likely that Infinity Ward will be looking to patch this unusual bug in a future update.

  • Strange Modern Warfare bug lets you silently crawl through closed doors – Dexerto

Strange Modern Warfare bug lets you silently crawl through closed doors A new bug has appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that appears to let players crawl through unopened doors. The highly-anticipated Modern Warfare finally released worldwide on October 25, giving fans their first venture back into the popular sub-series for the first time in almost a decade. However, while fans and professionals have been grinding out hours in the game, problems have arisen. There have been complaints about the game’s multiplayer maps, weapons, and even grenade usage. Outside of that though, bugs have also reared their heads, including ones where players can spawn without a weapon and others that allow them to see name tags through doors. It the doors that have been causing issues again, with Chicago Huntsmen star Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson showing off how players can simply crawl through them – even if they’re locked. The Call of Duty world champion posted a video from his recent stream to his Twitter account, that shows him crawling through not one door, but two, in order to gain a silent, and major, advantage in a Search and Destroy game. While the game does show a ‘prone blocked’ message, as it would when you lay down in a spot you’re not supposed to, it’s clearly broken and not working as intended. The majority of the replies seemed confused by how Arcitys had managed to uncover the problem, with Jamal ’Whea7s’ Lee saying “so like you kinda sorta cheating.” Arcitys’ former eUnited teammate James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, whose Dallas Empire squad have dominated early online tournaments, jokingly asked why he was ‘teaching’. The Infinity Ward have been quick on the draw to respond to problems in their new release, pumping out weapon nerfs and new content. It remains to be seen if they have a fix in the works for this crawling through door issues or if there’s nothing they can do about it.

  • Strange Modern Warfare bug is spawning players without weapons – Dexerto

Strange Modern Warfare bug is spawning players without weapons Players from the top down have been calling out developer Infinity Ward over some of the bugs and features in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – but a glitch spawning players in without weapons may be the strangest yet. The release of Modern Warfare on October 25 has been met with a lot of fire from the playerbase, with many arguments being had around certain aspects of the game, how to play it and the state of the game in its entirety. Many issues are subjective, such as with the maps being played and how to deal with things like tanks or campers, but certain bugs are impossible to argue in favor of. As Atlanta FaZe’s Preston ‘Priestahhh’ Griener found out during a match against other pros, sometimes the game just won’t go your way and there’s nothing you can do about it, as he spawned in without a gun as the battle blazed on around him. After being killed outside of the objective, Priestahhh spawned back in first out of his teammates, immediately noticing that not only did he not have a weapon, but he didn’t even have his fists out, sending him and his teammates into hysterics. As you can see by the end of the clip, each player is running about with no weapon, and the bug didn’t even reset itself after they were eliminated again. All they could muster was sheer confusion: “Oh my god! Wait, what? Clip this!” reverberated throughout the chat, the players unable to fathom quite how this had gone so disastrously wrong. This bug now adds to the growing list of complaints Infinity Ward will be attempting to deal with in Modern Warfare – claymores and the 725 shotgun have been major sources of annoyance from players, while even details like automated callouts, or “battlechatter” have been cited as a notable issue with the game. Needless to say, the team at Infinity Ward will be working tirelessly to bring the game to a state that both they and their devoted players are happy with in the coming weeks.

  • Strange Cold War Zombies bug turns game in Wii classic – Dexerto

Strange Cold War Zombies bug turns game in Wii classic Activision, Platinum GamesCold War Zombies players encounter all sorts of bugs in their travels. For this player, they might as well have called it a day. We all know that Call of Duty games can have their fair share of visual oddities. Most of them are temporary glitches that are often hilarious as they are game-breaking. Sometimes, these glitches can transform the game into an entirely new beast. Unfortunately, this isn’t always a good thing. For one CoD: Zombies fan, their seemingly ordinary game of Die Maschine was unexpectedly transformed into a rarely seen wave of colour. A truly Madworld Booting into a game of Die Maschine Zombies, the player is normally welcomed with the chilling forest backdrop of Morasko, Poland. Surrounded by the vastness of towering trees and blankets of snow, the Nacht Der Untoten soft reboot is both visually stunning as it is terrifying beneath the surface. Surely it couldn’t get any more unnerving? Well we’ve seen it all now. Read More: CoD Zombies Season 5 update notes and more – Bathing in splashes of hot red ooze, heavily contrasted blacks and ice white, Die Maschine will never be the same again. It is unclear how Space-Kook activated this unique visual glitch, but the results have produced some interesting comparisons from other players. Bringing it back to a time when Nintendo’s pioneering Wii console dominated the land, one player compared the bug to a Wii classic. Madworld, developed by Platinum Games, was released in March 2009. Making headlines at the time for including brutally violent gameplay that utilized the Wii’s nunchucks for maximum madness, the title became a cult classic among the Wii’s library. Employing a similar visual style, reminiscent of Western and Japanese comic books, this visual bug is a welcome call back. “It’s like the true setting of Shadows Of Evil: hell” said another curious fan, comparing the glitch to the divisive Black Ops III map. Comment by from discussion inCODZombies Cold War Zombies has recently enjoyed a new wave of content, with the release of Mauer Der Toten on July 15. Next week, players will be treated to a host of new content ranging from fresh perks to field upgrades.

  • Strange Cold War Zombies bug takes chopper gunner to the underworld – Dexerto

Strange Cold War Zombies bug takes chopper gunner to the underworld Activision / TreyarchAnother interesting Black Ops Cold War bug has made itself known in the game’s Zombies mode, transporting one unfortunate player to the Call of Duty underworld after calling in their chopper gunner killstreak. While many players do enjoy their time in Black Ops Cold War’s iteration of Zombies, there have been plenty of bugs throughout the game’s lifecycle that have nagged away at the overall experience. Some of these glitches are more entertaining than frustrating, while others are completely rage-inducing — like another unintended side effect that has completely wiped out all Zombies camo progress for some unfortunate players. Now, yet another glitch has joined their ranks, as one unlucky player randomly discovered that calling in your hard-earned chopper gunner killstreak might not always result in the outcome you were hoping for. The player in question shared a clip of the bizarre experience on the Cold War subreddit, and summed up the events of the video in one simple sentence: “So, my heli is now a submarine.” In the footage, they can be seen calling in a chopper gunner killstreak, simple enough. Things quickly take an unexpected turn, however, when the player’s camera shifts to the perspective of the gunner. The helicopter immediately takes a concerning nosedive straight towards the ground. Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, the vehicle actually passes through concrete and enters what looks like a scene from the Upside Down in Stranger Things. “What the f**k?” the player asked themselves, before letting out a surprised scream and then bursting into uncontrollable laughter after seeing where they ended up. Fellow Zombies players on Reddit were quick to chime in with their own takes on these events. Some had the same funny reaction as the player did, with another fan commenting “Gotta love Cold War and its spaghetti code!” Others had a harsher outlook on the glitch, however. “AAA game by the way” a second player responded, with yet another chiming in “I refuse to buy the new game. They can’t even finish this one.” Even more comments confirmed that other players had encountered the same bug — which had sometimes robbed them of some impressive late-round runs — so the glitch doesn’t appear to be limited to this specific individual. While it doesn’t seem Treyarch is tracking this issue at the time of writing, hopefully they can send out a fix in a future patch to make sure no one else gets robbed of their hard-earned streaks. Until then, it might be best to avoid using chopper gunners and choose another streak instead.

  • Strange CoD bug makes Warzone’s Loadout Drops wild and deadly – Dexerto

Strange CoD bug makes Warzone’s Loadout Drops wild and deadly Infinity WardA bizarre glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone resulted in a Loadout Drop becoming animated and moving around on its own – later killing a fellow teammate. After purchasing a Loadout Drop in a Warzone match, Reddit user ‘SuperSonik319’ was testing out what would happen if they dropped a Munitions Box right under it. The player joked they “tried to combine a Munitions Box and a Loadout Drop for full loadout,” but they probably weren’t expecting the ordinance to turn on them so quickly. What resulted from the experiment proved to be an untameable care package that seemed to be stuck in a repeating animation, letting it move around in one direction. “This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object,” another user joked. The opened Munitions Box can be seen tucked under the corner of the Loadout Drop during the clip, as the two objects obviously couldn’t coexist by occupying the same area on the Warzone map. Though the deadly part of the clip came a bit later when the nigh-sentient crate met even bigger immovable objects in the form of a nearby cement blockade and metal container. That’s when the glitched Loadout Drop really got weird and started to climb the obstacle until it was derailed from its trajectory. Unfortunately for the curious player watching the madness, the crate managed to climb over the person who called it in and sent them to the Gulag. While the bug might not be as common, it’s definitely one of the more comical glitches players have come across in Warzone. SuperSonik319 isn’t the first one to run into a deadly bug in Modern Warfare or Warzone involving crates. Previously there were instances where players simply touching Care Packages would instantly die. In that instance, the player was trying to dart to their newly summoned equipment, but they were mysteriously killed after sliding up to it. While this Warzone glitch seems pretty conclusive on how the player died, other people should keep in mind that CoD’s crates can claim lives in a multitude of ways.

  • Strange Black Ops 4 glitch is causing melee weapons to not hit opponents – Dexerto

Strange Black Ops 4 glitch is causing melee weapons to not hit opponents One of Call of Duty’s staple items throughout the franchise has been melee weapons that can be used to take down opponents, but they don’t always seem to be working as they should in Black Ops 4. Originally, melee weapons were just included as part of the game, with players able to pull out their knife and stab enemies who strayed too close to them with the press of a button as seen in games like Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2. However, in more recent additions to the franchise, the ability to carry a melee weapon automatically has been removed, with players in Black Ops 4 having to choose to carry one of these objects at the cost of one of their Create-A-Class points. While most players now choose to go without a melee weapon, some still decide to stick with the tried and trusted items, using them as a secondary instead of pistol or a launcher. Now, it seems that this may not be a good idea, as some Black Ops 4 players are struggling to connect with opponents when they use the item. In a video uploaded to Reddit by Geckom8, he states that the clip shows something he has never seen in the eight years he has spent playing the popular first person shooter franchise. Geckom8 is seen running up behind an enemy and attempt to stab him in the back with a combat axe. When the weapon seems to have no effect, he chases him again, wildly swinging the axe multiple times while pushing against the player with no luck, with his opponent eventually spinning around and shooting him. While Geckom8 says he has never seen anything like it before, a number of other Black Ops 4 players commented on the thread saying they had suffered from a similar issue. Activision and Treyarch have yet to comment on the problem, but fans of the game will be hoping it’s patched in a future update.

  • StoneMountain64 reveals ‘dominant’ Warzone 2 secondary that rivals akimbo pistols – Dexerto

StoneMountain64 reveals ‘dominant’ Warzone 2 secondary that rivals akimbo pistols Activision BlizzardStoneMountain64’s surprise hipfire secondary loadout is a real contender against the akimbo pistols that have dominated much of Warzone 2 thus far. StoneMountain64 has established himself as one of the biggest creators in the Call of Duty space and it only takes a few minutes of watching his Warzone 2 gameplay to understand how. Not only is he supremely skilled, but he’s also not afraid to go against the meta and explore options other players haven’t caught onto. That openness is directly responsible for his discovery of a powerful secondary that might be a better fit than the akimbo pistols in some situations StoneMountain64’s secondary hipfire loadout in Warzone 2 As explained in a January 9 video on his YouTube channel, Mr. Mountain slapped the VEL 46 on as a secondary after getting spammed with requests for it. While hipfire builds of all kinds have been the talk of the town on TikTok, the trusty double handgun setup is a tough one to replace, so any challenger would have to be incredibly strong to dethrone it. However, after going on a three-win streak with this build (and even winning a one-on-one gunfight against the pistols), he decided that there was really some juice behind the concept: “Oh, we just beat the akimbos. Holy s**t, now I feel even more confident with this VEL…” Here’s the loadout as it stood in his third win in a row: Barrel: LACH-165 ZULU – Laser: POINT-G3P 04 – Underbarrel: VX PINEAPPLE – Rear Grip: SCHLAGER SOLDIER GRIP – Magazine: 50-ROUND MAGAZINE – As seen in the video embedded above, this thing can keep up with the absolute best in the game and the bullet spread makes it so easy to snap to enemies and out-strafe them before they even realize what’s happened. It might seem like a strange choice now, though if the Fennec or the pistols aren’t getting the job done, consider giving it a try.

  • StoneMountain64 explains how Warzone devs should address DMR issue – Dexerto

StoneMountain64 explains how Warzone devs should address DMR issue Instagram, @StoneMountain64 / ActivisionAs concern over the DMR 14, MAC-10, and dual Diamattis grows in Warzone, streamer ‘StoneMountain64’ thinks Call of Duty’s developers over at Raven Software should vault the overpowered weapons. The Warzone meta shifted dramatically when Black Ops Cold War integrated with Modern Warfare’s weapons throughout Verdansk for BOCW Season 1. It took a few days and experimentation from the battle royale’s players, but after ‘GD_Booya’ dropped huge kills with the DMR in a tournament, it became clear that a new, ranged sheriff was in town. On December 16, BCOW’s 30 guns were added to Warzone in the biggest content release for the free battle royale ever. Less than a month later, following practically unanimous concern from fans and streamers, Raven and Treyarch pushed nerfs for the DMR, MAC-10 and Diamattis on January 6. But, rather than over-correcting, the game’s players appear dissatisfied and believe the guns remain overpowered. This leads StoneMountain, a popular streamer and content creator, to suggest that Raven vault the weapons instead of simply continuing to test out tunings on the live servers. When asked about the meta and the omnipresent DMR, Stone offered a new solution: “Why not even just vault the gun? … They clearly were able to switch the helicopters back to the old helicopters, so they just take the gun out of the game until they can fix whatever it is they want to fix about it.” Vaulting has been an effective solution for another highly-successful BR: Fortnite. Developers Epic Games remove weapons and other items from the game periodically whenever things get out of hand, and then sometimes bring them back weeks or months down the line if they deem it appropriate. As Stone alluded to in the podcast, this has been used as an option in Warzone as well, with the likes of choppers and vehicles whenever they’ve been involved with game-breaking exploits and glitches – why not apply the same approach with guns that are so clearly overpowered and broken? This issue is of dear concern to the game’s community, as social media and Twitch streams are littered with complaints about the ineffective nerfs. One of the game’s most prominent voices, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff recently dove into additional nerfs needed for the gun to become balanced — but StoneMountain has a different strategy for addressing the problem. Stone suggests that devs can follow that process for fixing guns, by removing the DMR and other overpowered guns from the title until they can be balanced properly. While it’s unclear if fans would welcome this solution, vaulting is an interesting idea and people appear open to any fixes for “DMRzone.”

  • STG44 and Static-HV still dominate Warzone despite Season 5 Reloaded nerfs – Dexerto

STG44 and Static-HV still dominate Warzone despite Season 5 Reloaded nerfs ActivisionDespite getting nerfed in the Season 5 Reloaded update, the STG44 and Static-HV remain must-use weapons. As part of the Season 5 Reloaded update, Raven Software nerfed the STG44’s max damage range from 36 to 32 meters. Meanwhile, the Static-HV got hit much harder. Damage range and modifier multiplier nerfs across the board should have been enough to knock the SMG out of contention on paper, but the data tells a much different story. Starting Warzone’s long-range meta, the SOA Subverter, STG44, Pulemyot 762, and RAAL MG single fire JAK Protean conversion kit stand out as our top choices after the mid-season update. Thanks to data provided by TrueGameData, we compared time-to-kill speeds for every top long-range meta weapon. The Pulemyot 762 and RAAL MG take down enemies incredibly fast, but slow mobility and reload times make both weapons less appealing. In the latest update, the SOA Subverter had its max damage range increased by five meters. However, STG44 still performs better at most ranges than any other option and has great mobility and recoil control, making it the best option. The Lachmann Shroud has the best TTK for short-range meta weapons up to 10 meters, but that stat is deceiving because the damage drops off a cliff outside of that range, and poor mobility knocks it down a peg. With that in mind, the Static-HV and Superi still stand tall thanks to their incredible fire rate and mobility. An argument can be made for the FJX Horus and Striker making a claim for the top spot, but they are still a tier below the top two choices. As players get more familiar with every weapon change over the next few weeks, the meta will evolve slightly more. In saying that, based on the data, it’s very possible that players will mostly use the same guns that they did for the first half of the season. If you need a loadout for any of the top options mentioned, check out our guide on the best class setups in Season 5 Reloaded.

  • Warzone analyst proves STG & Garand Vanguard blueprints have easier recoil – Dexerto

Warzone analyst proves STG & Garand Vanguard blueprints have easier recoil ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard blueprints have arrived in the Warzone store and players are baffled by how good they are. A new comparison proves the STG 44 & M1 Garand blueprints do indeed have easier recoil patterns than their base counterparts. While we’re still a few weeks out from the release of Vanguard, that doesn’t mean it’s not already reshaping the franchise. A few guns from the upcoming title arrived with the Season 6 battle pass and are making quite the splash in Warzone as players analyze exactly how effective these new weapons and their blueprints really are. NYSL’s Mavriq went on a deep dive into the recoil patterns between the standard version of each gun and their respective blueprints, and the results are blatant: the blueprints all consistently have an easier spray pattern. This immediately conjures pay-to-win concerns, which have popped up with guns like the Bullfrog and XM4 before. Seeing the impact trails for yourself really illuminates how dangerous these weapons could be. Warzone STG & M1 Garand Vanguard blueprints give in-game advantage If we take a look at Mavriq’s test, it’s clear that these blueprints do not operate the same as their standard counterparts. While these aren’t technically P2W since they come free with the battle pass, players typically don’t like when a blueprint behaves differently than its base version. The evidence is especially concerning in the case of the M1 Garand’s Heirloom blueprint. Comparing Warzone Vanguard blueprints to base versions Forgot to tweet this out when the STG and M1 Garand got dropped. Recoil plots comparing their base versions to blueprints that were released. White Obsidian is bugged rn. There’s no bullet impacts which is why it’s missing. pic.twitter.com/C61l175c5c — NYSL Mavriq (@MavriqGG) October 13, 2021 If you’re unfamiliar with tests like these, the jagged edges found in the highlighted lines indicate more aggressive movement from the gun when fired. These sudden changes in direction are what make weapons difficult to control in a gunfight. The closer a gun can be to a straight line, the easier it is to handle when shooting, and the Heirloom M1 Garand flattens this kind of instability to an unbelievably small level. This hasn’t been a big problem in the game as of yet, but with more Vanguard weapons on the way, there could be cause for concern if this trend continues. Anyone who wants to test these results out for themselves will need to start grinding out their Season 6 Battle Pass, as all Vanguard blueprints are locked inside the middle and upper tiers of the battle pass for now.

  • Stephen A. Smith chooses classic CoD map for 1v1 destination: “I know Call of Duty” – Dexerto

Stephen A. Smith chooses classic CoD map for 1v1 destination: “I know Call of Duty” ActivisionStephen A. Smith took a Call of Duty question on his show, and he did not disappoint after 100 Thieves posed an age-old gaming conundrum. Stephen A. Smith has used his YouTube show as a way to talk about topics outside of sports and often ventures onto social media to take questions directly from his audience. The sports pundit has been asked about classic cartoons and is often roped into answering questions about classic games that he doesn’t seem to recognize, like Pokemon. Smith’s most recent crossover with gaming came in the form of a question from 100 Thieves about Call of Duty. Stephen A. Smith favorite CoD 1v1 map Unlike with Pokemon, Smith seems to know about Call of Duty and was able to pick between Nuketown and Rust as his preferred 1v1 COD map “It’s Call of Duty, y’all didn’t think I knew that did y’all? I know this… I’m going to tell you this, Rust is what I like. It looks like a town that’s hardcore, that’s ready to handle business,” he said. Whether Smith has ever faced off in a fight on the CoD map remains to be seen as the veteran broadcaster seemed to be describing what he saw in the photos versus the in-game map. “This looks like kids going to a school house,” Smith said about the Nuketown photo. Some brands and viewers have tried to trick the commentator when asking him pop culture and gaming questions over social media in the past, but Smith seemed to have somewhat of a handle on the subject matter for this Call of Duty question. Much like how he can sometimes talk about his lack of knowledge in certain sports niches, like baseball and hockey, Smith picked one of the classic 1v1 CoD maps that the community loves.

  • Stats show which teams made the best roster changes for CWL Fort Worth – Dexerto

Stats show which teams made the best roster changes for CWL Fort Worth Ahead of the second event of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 season, CWL Fort Worth, a handful of Pro League teams made changes – but which ones paid off the most? The winners of Fort Worth, Luminosity, and runners-up Splyce, actually made no roster changes at all, so there is an argument that sticking together is sometimes the best option. But, that would be ignoring the disappointing performances of eUnited, OpTic and Envy, who all placed outside of the top eight. So, of the teams who did make roster changes, who had the biggest impact on improving the team? Using adjusted K/D (which weights SnD K/D slightly higher to give a more accurate picture of overall impact) via CoDStats, here are the best performers on new teams. 6. Attach – aK/D: 1.20, K/D: 1.17 It’s true that Evil Geniuses only won two maps throughout the whole event, crashing out in top 16, so we can’t place him higher on this list. But EG’s placing wasn’t for lack of trying on the part of new recruit Dillon ‘Attach‘ Price. Admittedly, he only had 14 maps total to impress but impress he did. An adjusted K/D ratio of 1.20 sees him 5th overall, and well ahead of his next highest teammate, Royalty, who put up only a 0.94 aK/D. Attach was easily their best individual performer, and Evil Geniuses will need to hold on to him if they hope to improve as a team. 5. Parzelion – aK/D: 1.17, K/D: 1.21 After a turbulent rostermania period for Midnight Esports, star player Saul ‘Parzelion’ Masse-Siguenza was essentially forced into finding a new team and landed on UYU. UYU will be thankful for the addition though, as he put up impressive numbers all weekend, and was a major factor in wins over Heretics and his former organization, Midnight. He was 8th overall in adjusted K/D for the event. They were eliminated by eventual 3rd place team Reciprocity and placed top 12, but Parzelion proved to be a major asset for this new UYU roster. 4. Envoy – aK/D: 1.06, K/D: 1.13 When Michael ‘SpaceLy’ Schmale was dropped from Gen.G, it shocked most of the competitive community, pro players included. But, Gen.G players had obviously seen the talent of Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon, and when he became available, made their move to secure his signature. On their way to a top 8 finish, Gen.G topped their pool before running into eventual champions LG in the first round. They put up a valiant effort, taking LG to a map five, and then eliminated OpTic in the losers bracket, again by way of a game five. Envoy undoubtedly improved Gen.G’s slaying power and should be able to help them hold on to their top spot in Division A of the Pro League. 3. Chino – aK/D: 0.98, K/D: 0.95 Although his stats are not as good as others mentioned here, Martin ‘Chino‘ Chino proved his worth by playing a big hand in getting Enigma6 a top 6 finish, the organization’s highest finish since CWL Anaheim 2017. Enigma6’s overall performance was a massive improvement over their top 32 placing at the first event, CWL Las Vegas, and Chino might just be what the team needs to push them into the top half of Division B in the Pro League. 2. Priestahh – aK/D: 1.06, K/D: 1.10 Perhaps 100 Thieves and Preston ‘Priestahh‘ Greener would have been number one on this list if it wasn’t for an unfortunate illness striking the former FaZe Clan player at the worst possible time. 100 Thieves were easily one of the most improved teams at Fort Worth, and while credit must be given to the turnaround made by players like Kenny ‘Kenny‘ Williams and new coach James ‘Crowder‘ Crowder, Priestahh was crucial in their new found success. Even while being violently sick, Priestahh managed a 50 kill hardpoint game against Enigma6, and once he’s back to full health, 100T should be ready to hold on to their top spot in Division B. Reciprocity now turn their attention back to the Pro League, where they sit second from bottom in Division A with a 2-5 record, but with the addition of Dylan, they will be considered one of the team’s most likely to turn it around.

  • Stats show the most valuable player on each CWL team – Dexerto

Stats show the most valuable player on each CWL team CWL / 100 ThievesNew statistics have been made to determine which professional Call of Duty player has the most impact on their CWL team’s Win/Loss ratio in Black Ops 4. “X-Factor” is a term often used within competitive Call of Duty to describe players who are likely to play a large role in a team’s overall success with a great individual performance. These statistics, from CoDStats, can now be used to measure the correlation between a pro player’s kill/death ratio and the outcome of map resulting in a win, identifying each of the X-Factor players for the CWL teams. Players who scored highly are more likely to take over the game for their team and are often seen to be some of the biggest slayers for the team. The list consists of many players who have always been regarded as the X-factor players for their teams such as three time World Champion, OpTic Karma, who is known for his in-game decision making and others such as Huke, Octane and Arcitys. Who are the X Factor Players for each CWL team? The single player with the highest X-Factor in the CoD World League is Brack from Denial Esports, with an impressive (.80) score, it is crucial for him to have a good performance to give Denial the best chance at winning. The lowest scoring X-Factor player in the CWL (with over 50 maps played) is Brack’s teammate, Bance, who’s individual performance only slightly affects Denial’s likeliness to win a map. The X-factor players and their scores for each team are listed below. 1.) Denial: Brack (.80) 2.) Evil Geniuses: Attach (.66) 3.) Gen G: Maux (.60) 4.) Luminosity: Gunless (.58) now Slacked (.43) 5.) Midnight: Saints (.56) 6.) Faze Clan: Zero (.50) 7.) Heretics: JurNii (.50) 8.) eUnited: Arcitys (.49) 9.) Enigma 6: Kismet (.47) 10.) Team Envy: Huke (.46) 11.) UYU: Parzelion (.45) 12.) Elevate: Rizk (.43) 13.) 100 Thieves: Octane (.41) 14.) Reciprocity: Dylan (.40) 15.) OpTic Gaming: Karma (.39) 16.) Splyce: Aqua (.39)

  • Stats show how RØKKR’s GodRx was a god among men at CDL Los Angeles – Dexerto

Stats show how RØKKR’s GodRx was a god among men at CDL Los Angeles DexertoMinnesota RØKKR’s Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown has hit new levels on Modern Warfare, with an outstanding start to his Call of Duty League campaign, but CDL Los Angeles was his stand-out event by far. Despite falling short to Dallas Empire in the Grand Final, Minnesota RØKKR showed why they should be considered one of the best CDL teams in the world in the City of Angels. Discounting their group stage blip against OpTic Gaming LA, RØKKR were a force to be reckoned with at CDL Los Angeles — even shrugging off the reigning champions, Atlanta FaZe in the semifinals. While each of Minnesota’s boys had their moments, there was one player in particular who showed up big throughout the whole event… None other than GodRx. At CDL Atlanta, Brown was one of the most deadly players on the server, as he clocked out with the third highest kills (362) and the third highest K/D ratio (1.26) of the event. A change of pace for RØKKR at CDL Los Angeles put an assault rifle into the 21-year-old’s hands for respawn modes, while he continued with his trusty sniper rifle in Search & Destroy. Let’s take a look behind the numbers of GodRx’s superhuman performance in the City of Angels and see why he was arguably the MVP of the event. First and foremost, GodRx chalked up the most kills for the entire weekend; besting CDL Atlanta’s total with 393 kills in just five series. Specifically in Hardpoint though, GodRx boasted an average hill time of 74 seconds per game while still racking up the kills. What’s perhaps more impressive is that Brown had the second-highest Hardpoint K/D ratio of 1.37, which was only surpassed by Mutineers’ Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno — a player who surprisingly crashed out in groups, despite making it to the CDL Atlanta Grand Final. Domination is where GodRx truly came into his own in LA, as the AR kept the lanes locked down for his squad to be aggressive with the objective. An engagement success rate touching on 60% while maintaining an average of 21 kills per game meant that GodRx was RØKKR’s secret ingredient in winning 3/5 of their Domination matches. Alongside his merciless prowess with an AR in respawns, Brown stood head and shoulders above the rest when it came to Search & Destroy. Amassing a ridiculous 63 kills in S&D alone, no one could match GodRx’s tactical knack during the weekend — Dallas Empire’s Huke was the closest in terms of raw frags with 51. His kill count was complemented by the second-highest S&D K/D of the event at 1.62. But this doesn’t provide context to how dominant his sniper was all weekend long — who could forget his insane 12-2 showing versus Seattle Surge? Edging out Atlanta FaZe’s Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr as the event’s top marksman, he scratched up 16 sniper kills in total, which keeps him as the second most deadly sniper in the league. Following CDL Los Angeles, GodRx now has the most eliminations at 941 and the largest positive swing in the league of +209 kills. Brown looks set to be the first player to break the 1000 kill barrier in CDL Dallas, but he will have to get past some tough opposition to do so, as the Minnesota RØKKR are set to lock horns with the Chicago Huntsmen in their opening match. • Stats show how Cellium outshone aBeZy for CDL Atlanta MVP – Dexerto

Stats show how Cellium outshone aBeZy for CDL Atlanta MVP DexertoAfter an explosive weekend of action, FaZe defended their home series event and were crowned your CDL Atlanta champions. Cellium was awarded ‘most-valuable player’, but the numbers could tell a different story. CDL Atlanta drew in huge numbers from a spectator perspective. Over 2.1 million cumulative views were garnered on the Call of Duty League’s stream across both days. While certain moments from CDL Atlanta may resonate with spectators, the statistics from the event paint a much more vivid picture of who was the most consistent across the whole event. Overall K/D ratio is a metric used by plenty to determine how well players handled gunfights on the whole, giving a rough estimate for player success. However, this is incredibly biased towards AR Slayers, whose main responsibility is to rack up as many kills as possible. Royal Ravens’ main AR, wuskin, tops the overall leaderboard yet again, with an impressive 1.38 K/D ratio. What’s more impressive, however, is that FaZe’s youngster, Cellium, was right behind him. Being a Flex player, Cellium often changes his playstyle to suit the needs of his team, so a 1.32 K/D is a notable feat — especially considering that he played more matches overall. Top 5 overall K/D ratios Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall – 1.38 – McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel – 1.32 – Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown – 1.26 – Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr – 1.24 – Denholm ‘Denz’ Taylor – 1.23 – Since overall K/D ratio doesn’t paint the whole picture though, let’s delve into each game type to see who were the standout performers. CDL Atlanta: Hardpoint The story remains much the same for Hardpoint, where both wuskin and Cellium take prime spots. While Cellium’s hill time was on the lower end of things, the 19-year-old won over 57% of his total engagements, posting 188 kills for his team (the most on the squad by a considerable margin). Cellium’s kill tally isn’t a patch on Mutineers’ Skyz, however, who posted a mammoth 233 kills with a 1.23 K/D – albeit with three more Hardpoint games played – while also bagging the most kills for the whole event with 382. Top 5 Hardpoint K/D ratios Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall – 1.55 – McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel – 1.34 – Denholm ‘Denz’ Taylor – 1.23 – Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno – 1.23 – Alex ‘Alexx’ Carpenter – 1.21 – CDL Atlanta: Search & Destroy In S&D, Toronto Ultra’s Bance is proving his worth after being switched into the starting lineup for Adrian ‘MettalZ’ Serrano following a turbulent showing at Launch Weekend. Not only did he net the highest S&D K/D ratio (1.82), but the Brit also boasted 1.07 kills per round — edging out Royal Ravens’ Skrapz, who clocked 1.06 kills per round. Perhaps what’s most interesting is that aBeZy managed to win 13 opening duels (the most on the weekend) while also bagging himself the fifth-highest K/D of the weekend. Unanswered first bloods are imperative in S&D, as they force the opposition to change their strategy on the fly. So aBeZy’s influence on FaZe’s S&D success is not to be discounted by being fifth in the K/D standings. Top 5 Search & Destroy K/D ratios Ben ‘Bance’ Bance – 1.82 – Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall – 1.67 – Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown – 1.44 – Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni – 1.31 – Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris – 1.24 – CDL Atlanta: Domination When it comes to Domination, Simp appears to have that on lockdown. His knowledge of spawns and rotations helped him clock the highest K/D (1.46) of the event, while he also clocked in with an average of 6.5 captures per game — this was only bested by three other players in the whole event. However, Cellium makes yet another appearance in the standings for a respawn game mode with a 1.35 K/D. Although there is one aspect of the FaZe star’s gameplay that stats don’t show, and that is his ability to control the lanes and lockdown major choke-points on the map. Couple this with the Tiny Terrors racing towards teams at 100 miles-per-hour and its no wonder why FaZe were a force to be reckoned with in Domination all weekend long. Top 5 Domination K/D ratios Chris ‘Simp‘ Lehr – 1.46 – Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown – 1.44 – Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon – 1.37 – McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel – 1.35 – Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris – 1.34 – Ultimately, McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel walked away with the Call of Duty League’s first-ever official MVP award, and after consulting the stats, this was well-deserved. The Atlanta FaZe Flex player put up K/D numbers that rivaled other team’s main AR players while also doing the dirty work around the objective. The only player who could come remotely close to taking the MVP award for the event would have been aBeZy, especially considering his incredible S&D performance. However, after aBeZy struggled in Hardpoint all weekend, Cellium rightfully earned his home series MVP award. Stats via Easy Mac.

  • Stats show who costed and who carried at CWL Fort Worth – Dexerto

Stats show who costed and who carried at CWL Fort Worth MLGThe Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 tournament at CWL Fort Worth concluded with Luminosity Gaming hoisting the trophy, with standout performances all round – but which players were most important, and who wasn’t pulling their weight? Typically, players and fans will look at the kill/death (K/D) ratio chart to determine who was performing best, and while this provides a good idea of who was playing well, it can be misleading. A new statistic has been offered up by CoDStats, which hopes to better capture the overall impact a player has, by combining a number of factors. The new CoDStats rating “takes all your stats from a game and tells you how likely an average team would be to win given your performance” – i.e. did you carry, contribute to, or perhaps even cost the result. A combination of score, damage, kills, deaths and assists per minute, and K/D ratio, are input into the equation, resulting in a single rating for each player. As the graph below shows, there were standout performances in this rating by the likes of 100 Thieves’ Sam ‘Octane‘ Larew, OpTic’s Brandon ‘Dashy‘ Otell and Luminosity’s Peirce ‘Gunless‘ Hillman – who of course won the event. Although Gunless was an outlier on his team, his teammates are very closely bunched up in the middle of the graph, indicating that no one was ‘costing’ the team overall, with all players pulling their weight, while Gunless put on his MVP worthy individual performance. The graph doesn’t make for great reading for OpTic duo Seth ‘Scump‘ Abner and Thomas ‘TJHaLy‘ Haly however, as they both fall in the bottom quadrant, while Dashy, Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter and Damon ‘Karma‘ Barlow all managed around the top half. It should be noted that some players’ role within their team will not always be conducive to high kills, score or damage per minute, but it doesn’t indicate which players need to step it up. The CWL Pro League starts its cross-divisional play next, and with a couple of substitutes being called up to the main lineups for some teams, they may be looking to their lowest rated player to make up their mind on who to replace come rostermania time.

  • Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in September – Dexerto

Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in September Infinity Ward[jwplayer WGyDcVLl]The most popular Warzone loadouts in September have been revealed, proving which weapons dominated the meta towards the end of Season 5. The most popular weapons in Warzone have slowly changed over time, as Modern Warfare players have shifted away from the multiplayer weapons they’re most comfortable with such as the M4A1 assault rifle and figured out how to maximize their chances of winning in Verdansk. Now, six months after release, players are discovering the very best strategies while also figuring out whether the regularly-added DLC weapons are viable in the game. As a result, we see certain loadouts dominating in Warzone: but there’s also a decent amount of variation as players stick to what they’re most comfortable with. Statistics website Lootshare compiles the most-used weapons in Warzone and regular multiplayer, and has now revealed which loadouts were most popular throughout September, right through to the launch of Season 6 on September 29. Here’s the top five weapon classes in Warzone, but see the graphic below to find the top eight: Kilo 141 – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8” Prowler – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – MP5 – Barrel: Monolithic Integral Suppressor – Stock: FTAC Collapsible – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Grau 5.56 – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – HDR – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Variable Zoom Scope – Stock: FTAC Stalker-Scout – Kar98k – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″ – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Sniper Scope – Stock: FTAC Sport Comb – At the top of the list, you won’t be surprised to see the standard Kilo 141 loadout as the most popular weapon in September. Monolithic suppressor, 60 round mags, VLK 3.0x optic… You know the drill. Elsewhere, the MP5 crops up twice in the top eight, with slight variations, while snipers are opting for the HDR or Kar98 to get them through Verdansk. Obviously, as became prominent throughout September, the Origin 12 shotgun was also the sixth-most popular weapon in the game. It will be interesting to see how this list changes in October, with new weapons added and some balancing applied to existing guns. We might see some shifts in the meta as a result.

  • Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in October – Dexerto

Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in October ActivisionThe most popular Warzone weapon loadouts of October have been revealed, and there’s been a few changes in the standings as the meta slowly shifts throughout Season 6. [jwplayer RexLZ1JW] While the initial release of Warzone saw guns like the M4A1 and Bruen — which NICKMERCS thinks is making a revival — dominate the meta, this has slowly changed in recent months, as players better learn the game and adapt to patches. Now, you’ll often see players knocking about with a low-recoil, high-magazine assault rifle as well as an MP5 or some form of shotgun in their back pocket. But what loadouts were actually the most popular throughout October? Let’s take a look. For the most part, at the very top, things haven’t changed much. As you could imagine, the Kilo remains the most popular weapon in the game, while the MP5 and the Grau are still very common picks. After that, though, it changes slightly. Here were the top five Warzone loadouts in October, according to Lootshare — but scroll down to find out some of the other super-popular class setups, too: Kilo 141 – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8” Prowler – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – MP5 – Barrel: Monolithic Integral Suppressor – Stock: FTAC Collapsible – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Grau 5.56 – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – Kar98k – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″ – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Sniper Scope – Stock: FTAC Sport Comb – HDR – Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Variable Zoom Scope – Stock: FTAC Stalker-Scout – This is fairly similar to how things looked in September, though the Kar98k has now officially overtaken the HDR for those who prefer to run around with a sniper. What’s more interesting is some of the changes that have occurred outside of the top five. Flying up the rankings is the SP-R208 marksman rifle, which a lot of snipers have switched to given its pinpoint accuracy at almost any range, being much more reliable when trying to tag up enemies from afar. Couple it with a laser, the Solozero SP-R28mm optic and the .338 Lapua Mag, and you’re onto a winner. We’ve also seen a big uptick in the popularity of the M13 and CR-56 AMAX assault rifles, and the Origin shotgun has dropped all the way down to 15th! This makes sense given the M13’s low recoil, the AMAX’s popularity among streamers who can control it, and the Origin’s nerfs at the end of September. Obviously, you should always use your favorite weapons and what you feel best with, but you could definitely use these loadouts for inspiration, especially if there are weapons or particular builds you’ve never used before. You never know, you might just find the loadout that gets you some of your biggest wins yet.

  • Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in November – Dexerto

Stats reveal most popular Warzone loadout weapons in November ActivisionWhile November for many might have marked the arrival of Black Ops Cold War as the newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Warzone was still insanely popular, and it looks as though players have been using some different weapons, too. Over time, certain weapons have become more or less popular as the Warzone meta shifts, and while some weapons seem to be mainstays in most loadouts, such as the Kilo 141 assault rifle or MP5 submachine gun, there’s actually quite a lot of variation among players. With the December 10 Warzone update fast approaching, and with players expecting to see a major Black Ops Cold War-themed mix-up headed to the battle royale, we might see the meta weapons changing very quickly soon. So, before players start bringing their AUG tactical rifles and Krig 6 AR into Verdansk, let’s take a look at the most popular Warzone weapons in November. Thanks to the statistics website Lootshare, we know the exact weapon builds and complete loadouts that dominate Warzone the most. Here’s the top five, but scroll down to see the weapons that round out the top eight most popular: 1. Kilo 141 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8” Prowler – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – 2. MP5 Barrel: Monolithic Integral Suppressor – Stock: FTAC Collapsible – Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – 3. Grau 5.56 Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 60 Round Mags – 4. Kar98k Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″ – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Sniper Scope – Stock: FTAC Sport Comb – 5. CR-56 AMAX Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: ZRK Zodiac S440 – Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Round Mags – So, we have seen some interesting shifts in the most popular Warzone weapons in September. The Kar98k marskman rifle has officially become players’ favorite sniper rifle, overtaking the HDR which falls out of the top five, being replaced by the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle. We’ve also seen the Origin shift out of the top eight for the first time since shotguns became dominant meta weapons, meaning there are no shotties until the R9-0 in 12th — so maybe they’re not as popular as you think! It will be interesting to see how Black Ops Cold War integration affects these stats but, luckily, we don’t have to wait too long to find out.

  • The stats behind OpTic Chicago’s S&D struggles in the CDL – Dexerto

The stats behind OpTic Chicago’s S&D struggles in the CDL Call of Duty League / ActivisionOpTic Chicago may be among the best respawn teams in the Call of Duty League this year, but it’s no secret their S&D still needs some work. Taking a deeper look at the numbers gives us a better understanding of just how the Green Wall can improve moving forward. Right out of the gates in 2021, fans immediately pointed out OpTic’s glaring flaw. Winning a single round across two S&D maps against Atlanta FaZe, it quickly became clear it was their weakest mode. Despite looking at the loss as a good learning experience, the star-studded lineup has continued to struggle in S&D throughout the first two Stages. Diving into the data, our Reverse Sweep breakdown helps illuminate just how big an issue it really is. OpTic leads the charge as the best Control team in the game with a 10-2 map count. They sit among the top four teams in Hardpoint with 12 map wins. However, their S&D is currently the fourth-worst in the league, with six wins and nine losses in the mode. More specifically, it isn’t just one area of S&D the team struggles in. They’re consistently facing adversity across both sides of any given map. They currently sit as the third-worst team when it comes to offensive rounds. Meanwhile, they’re the fifth-worst team on defensive rounds. Whether they’re pushing the pace on attack or sitting patiently on defense, they have their struggles in both regards. It’s clear the S&D map pool doesn’t play into OpTic’s favor either. At the time of writing, they’ve only managed to secure S&D wins on two maps: Moscow and Checkmate. Read more: Enable: Dashy is playing horrible! – While vetoes could see them dodging certain maps entirely, the point still stands. OpTic is yet to see success on Express, Miami, or Raid. OpTic player Twitter reactions after getting swept in back-to-back matches. They’ll have to regain fast because they face Empire next weekend | #CDL2021 pic.twitter.com/ElEdCLUZFK — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) March 29, 2021 Another pivotal factor comes on the back of first bloods in S&D. Typically, if a team secures the first kill in a round, you’d favor them to close things out. With just four players on each side, giving your team the numbers advantage is huge. For OpTic, however, they’re only closing out 69% of the rounds in which they secure the first kill. Comparatively, a team like Atlanta FaZe is able to close out 86% of the first blood rounds. On paper, this might not seem like much of a difference. But in game, losing the opening gunfight against OpTic hasn’t proven to be all that damaging. Teams are still able to turn things around and win the 3v4 a good amount. Ultimately, OpTic needs to evolve their S&D playstyle if they’re going to contend for championships this year. No matter how good their respawn modes might be, failing to close out S&D’s might continue to be their downfall in the league. • Star-studded Warzone Season 3 trailer features Nadeshot with Young Thug, Jack Harlow & other celebrities – Dexerto

Star-studded Warzone Season 3 trailer features Nadeshot with Young Thug, Jack Harlow & other celebrities YouTube, Call of DutyCall of Duty: Warzone Season 3’s launch hasn’t only been hyped up by Twitch’s biggest stars, but also by some of the biggest celebrities in the world. A new trailer features Nadeshot alongside A-list celebrities like Young Thug and Jack Harlow. Young Thug and Gunna have shared time on the Hot 100 with collaborative singles like “Dollaz on My Head.” Druski and Jack Harlow have shared moments (flirtatious ones, in fact) during celebrity basketball games. https://twitter.com/RapFavorites/status/1362904228210089990 Apparently, all four also share a love for tearing up Verdansk in helicopters. As shown in CoD’s latest trailer for Warzone: Season 3, those four big-name celebrities also enjoy in-game chaos. And they’re far from the only ones enlisted to show off the game’s new map and content. For gamers, the headliner has got to be 100 Thieves’ Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag — who whips out an LMG to send Harlow and Druski plummeting (together, of course). But, with sports and entertainment figures from across the world, the trailer has something for everyone. https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1385247496385929219 After the aforementioned entertainment celebrities make their debuts, bleached-hair Nadeshot makes his. Those four, so preoccupied with helicopter shenanigans, fail to realize that the CoD and gaming veteran has set himself up with an LMG on a high-ground perch. Then, amidst the influencer mayhem, comes another deep cut to a gaming icon: Black Ops 1’s legendary “Burger Man.” The burger-flipper out-maneuvers a rocket from British rapper AJ Tracey before the trailer continues its celebrity onslaught. As far as the remaining celebrities, the list is varied and all-encompassing. Season 3’s newest Operator calls in a killstreak from the “Icy Girl” herself, US rapper Saweetie, and then five-time Grammy nominee Swae Lee lands a classic CoD trick shot. By the end, sports fans get their due — as Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish volleys a grenade toward none other than the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Mookie Betts, who fittingly bats the explosive away with the butt of his weapon. Of course, basketball fans also get to enjoy a sneak cameo by the Los Angeles Lakers’ Dennis Schroder, who watches on as Betts defends their group. While we end up not knowing who won this live-action version of the battle royale, we do know that Harlow and Druski got eliminated. That means this wildly star-studded trailer can teach us one all-important fact: Nadeshot has still got it.

  • Standy and Attach relive Minnesota RØKKR’s epic CDL comeback – Dexerto

Standy and Attach relive Minnesota RØKKR’s epic CDL comeback Call of Duty LeagueOn August 1, 2021, Minnesota RØKKR achieved one of the rarest feats in Call of Duty esports – a best-of-nine reverse sweep to take home the Call of Duty League Stage 5 Major title. In a new documentary by Dexerto, Dillon ‘Attach’ Price and Eli ‘Standy’ Bentz relive the greatest comeback in CoD history. Down 0-4 in the Grand Final of the Call of Duty Stage 5 Major, it looked as though Minnesota RØKKR’s dream run was over. Making a Grand Final in a season their highest finish at a Major had been fourth was no small task. However, the glory was likely soured by the 5-0 sweep the Toronto Ultra was likely about to hand them. But then it happened. Minnesota found a second wind and bounced back to take the series 5-4. In a new documentary by Dexerto, ‘Behind CoD’s Greatest Comeback’, RØKKR players Standy and Attach relive the season-defining moment. RØKKR heat up after a cold 2021 The 2021 season could have been better for Minnesota RØKKR. In the four majors prior to late July’s Stage 5, RØKKR cracked the top five once. Stage 1: 9th – Stage 2: 4th – Stage 3: 10th – Stage 4: 6th – But coming into Stage 5, things were looking up. The team earned a third-place finish in the group stage, placing them in the Winner’s Bracket for the Major. However, that meant an opening match against the red-hot Atlanta FaZe, who RØKKR were 0-2 against in the season. In the first shock of the Major, RØKKR prevailed 3-1, moving on to face the equally in-form Dallas Empire, who they were 2-4 against in 2021. And again, Minnesota won 3-1. “We were feeling really good, we beat FaZe, the only team to beat them in not a game 5 the whole season,” Attach said. “And then we played Dallas, another team that had got second in the major before, beat them 3-1… so our confidence was at an all-time high.” The win over Dallas catapulted RØKKR into the Winner’s Final, where they would face the Stage 2 champions, the Toronto Ultra. While RØKKR and Ultra considered each other rivals, dubbing their matches ‘The Battle for the North’, Toronto were undefeated through four matches against Minnesota. But the streak would end as RØKKR stomped Ultra 3-0 to reach the Grand Final of the Stage 5 Major. However, the Ultra came looking for revenge as they beat OpTic Chicago in the Loser’s Final to set up the rematch with Minnesota. The Final “We didn’t get a warm-up before the finals because the other teams were out and they played OpTic in losers and we played against our coaches in a 3v3 raid so it wasn’t the best warm-up to get the comms and everything warmed up,” Attach explained. Toronto dominated the first map of the final, taking it by a score of 250-34. The blows kept on coming for RØKKR, as they lost maps two and three in equally convincing fashion. While they were able to put up a fight on map four, the eventual loss meant the team was looking at a near-impossible situation. “When you’re down that bad, you don’t have anything to lose, so we’re just like, ‘OK, let’s go out there and do our thing’, and we were really good at Miami SND and we were really confident, so we were like, ‘let’s go and do our thing, let’s take that one map, and then just go from there,’” Attach said. RØKKR indeed showed their dominance on Miami, taking a hard-fought 6-3 victory. “So we were taking a bathroom break, talking to each other, and we were like, ‘hey, it’s all good, let’s just have some fun, if we lose we lose, but hey, if we lose we’re going to lose going down hard,’” Standy said. Ultra seemed helpless as RØKKR just kept on winning. Map 6 (Control on Garrison): 3-1 RØKKR – Map 7 (SnD on Standoff): 6-2 RØKKR – Map 8 (Hardpoint on Apocalypse): 250-165 RØKKR – The map eight win meant that the Grand Final was going somewhere few had thought possible an hour or so earlier – a deciding map nine. It would be SnD on Raid, which was a mixed situation for RØKKR. While they were 2-1 in SnD rounds in the Final, they were also 0-2 on Raid. Standy opened the final round with a clutch double kill to give RØKKR the lead. He put them up 2-0 with a triple kill in round two. RØKKR extended their lead to 4-1 before allowing Ultra back into the game with two clutch rounds that put the score at 4-3. That would be the last time Ultra won in Stage 5 as another clutch double from Standy put RØKKR up 5-3 and then they were able to hold off the plant from Toronto’s Tobias ‘CleanX’ Jønsson to complete the impossible. “It felt like we were in a movie… It was just the craziest rush ever… I felt like I was going to pass out after that, I was like, ‘oh God, I’ve got to sit down,’” Attach said after the win. Standy, arguably the hero of map nine, was already looking ahead to the next moment. “Everyone was just joking around with me, saying, ‘you’ve made a BO3 reverse sweep, a BO5 reverse sweep, a BO7 reverse sweep, now a BO9, now they’ve got to add BO11s and you’ve got to go down 0-5,’” Standy said. “And I was like, ‘that’s not good for my heart, but I’d be up for the challenge.’”

  • Standoff added to CDL competitive map rotation for Stage 4 – Dexerto

Standoff added to CDL competitive map rotation for Stage 4 Activision / Call of Duty LeagueThe Call of Duty League has officially added Standoff to the Stage 4 map pool, with the classic Black Ops 2 map replacing Black Ops Cold War’s Checkmate in the Search and Destroy rotation. Introduced in 2012’s Black Ops II, Standoff is yet another iconic Treyarch map reintroduced to Black Ops Cold War. It joins Raid and Express as the third BO2 map to enter the CDL’s map rotation. Standoff was added to Black Ops Cold War in the Season 3 Reloaded patch and, less than a week later, the CDL has announced that the map will join its map pool. As a renowned CoD map and fixture in the competitive circuit, the timing isn’t wildly surprising — with many pro teams likely already comfortable with the map’s structure. 🚨 BREAKING: Standoff has been added to the official #CDL2021 map rotation for Stage 4! It replaces Checkmate S&D. pic.twitter.com/GTra0jbYyp — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) May 24, 2021 A relatively medium-sized map, Standoff has a number of wide lanes as well as some interesting multi-leveled buildings that provide for a variety of playstyles. A popular S&D map, CDL players were probably happy to implement it almost immediately. Standoff replaces Checkmate, a small map whose narrow, central airplane was considered a frenzied, often-frustrating structure for players to deal with. Given Checkmate’s divisiveness, its replacement with Standoff is presumably welcomed with open arms by pros — especially veterans. This announcement comes just a few days prior to the start of CDL 2021’s Stage 4, as the OpTic Chicago Home Series kicks off on May 27.

  • Staggering Warzone breakdown reveals the longest distance snipe possible – Dexerto

Staggering Warzone breakdown reveals the longest distance snipe possible Infinity WardIf you’re a sniping expert in Warzone, chances are that you’ve hit a few long-distance shots in the Battle Royale title. However, if you want to go the extra mile (literally), a new breakdown reveals just how far away you can be and still do damage. Long-range snipes can be extremely effective in Warzone if you’re able to time them just right. A well-placed shot could put a vehicle out of commission or outright eliminate a squad. But at what distance do sniper rifles become ineffective? If you’re really looking to push your favorite sniper to its limits, it turns out that there’s a clear cutoff point in Warzone. Thanks to a detailed experiment from gaming mythbusters ‘DefendTheHouse,’ we now know how far sniper shots can travel across the map. Whether you’re in it for bragging rights or putting together a sniping montage, here’s a rundown on what the lengthy assessment was able to uncover. Starting out at a staggering range of 1500 meters, the duo realized that all snipers are still effective. How they tested it was by placing a vehicle at a certain distance, measured through the in-game ping system. As the physical bullets themselves began to disappear, vehicle damage proved to be a great way to gauge effectiveness. “I’m here by the truck… there are no bullet holes,” one of the testers said. “I don’t see your bullet but [the car] is smoking, you are definitely hitting it.” With each successive shot from that range, the truck was damaged ever so slightly. Just to emphasize how damaging snipers can be from a great distance, they blew the vehicle up from 2400 meters. “After 2400 meters, we thought it was time to go for the longest shot physically possible,” they said. “Ultimately, we discovered the longest sightline is from Dam to Prison.” In order to properly test from these two locations, they ran into some difficulties. Enemies would interrupt the tests and players would be kicked for inactivity as well. It became a real challenge and took multiple hours. They pushed through the hassles and eventually discovered the maximum range for snipers in Warzone. Just past 2400 meters, shots would leave a visible mark on the terrain after traveling through the map. Unfortunately, no sound could be heard from this point on. “It makes no sound which is kind of off, but it’s literally right in front of me.” They tested every sniper in the game, even the latest Rytek AMR with explosive rounds equipped. However, 2400 meters always came through as the furthest distance. Anything beyond that point would entirely fail to reach the target. Now that you’re aware of the maximum sniper range, there’s still plenty to learn. Get caught up on the last experiment that focused on the insane range of missiles in Warzone.

Spratt reveals why he’s leaving OpTic Gaming Spratt – YouTubePopular Call of Duty YouTuber James Spratt has announced that he’s decided to part ways with OpTic Gaming two years after he joined the Green Wall. To say it has been a tumultuous time for the content creation side of OpTic Gaming would be a heavy understatement, as numerous prominent and longtime members have left the organization over the past few weeks and months. On August 13, Spratt became the latest to part ways with the Green Wall, citing the org’s recent changes as the main reason for his decision. “After a roller coaster of a journey, I have decided to leave OpTic Gaming,” he tweeted. “These last two years have been filled with amazing experiences and adventures, which I wouldn’t trade for the world. One of the most well-known YouTubers in the Call of Duty community, Spratt joined OpTic in August of 2017, following a surprise departure from FaZe Clan, of which he had been a member of during his rise to prominence. Midway through his tenure with the Green Wall, he announced that he would be heading back to his home country of England on a permanent basis, which he now says may have played a role in his decision to part ways. Being in England, on my lonesome, being away from everyone else on the team, it did take a toll on me.” As for his immediate future, Spratt has revealed that he has no plans on joining any teams or organizations, opting to take on content creation solo. “I’m no longer a part of a team, I’m a solo creator, a lone wolf,” he said. “I don’t have any plans at the moment to join another organization. I just want to be known as Spratt for a while, or maybe Spratty, we’ll bring back the original nickname, I don’t know.”

  • Spratt reveals best AX-50 loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone – Dexerto

Spratt reveals best AX-50 loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone Infinity Ward/IG: SprattPopular YouTuber and Call of Duty sniper James ‘Spratt’ Spratt has revealed his preferred AX-50 loadout of choice for Warzone, allowing you to dominate enemies from long distances. Modern Warfare’s Gunsmith offers Call of Duty players unprecedented customization when it comes to weapons. From barrel to stock to perk, players have never had more freedom in modifying their guns. However, with such freedom comes difficult decisions. The AX-50 – alongside the HDR – is an incredibly useful, powerful sniper rifle that can pick enemies off from across the map. The AX-50 is generally accepted as the weaker sniper rifle of the two, its improved handling and mobility can benefit players, while still being able to take down enemies promptly. Now, Call of Duty sniper Spratt has revealed his new loadout for the AX-50, which you can take into Verdansk. First up is the Monolithic Suppressor, the muzzle attachment that has become a staple of nearly every Warzone loadout. This will buff your damage range and, more crucially, keep you off all enemy radars. Secondly, the 32.0″ Factory Barrel will augment your damage range even further, albeit at the expense of ADS time. The Tac Laser, Stippled Grip Tape, and Singuard Arms Assassin Stock will all compensate for this; speeding up ADS time and trying to capitalize on the AX-50’s superior handling. There are no changes needed to the gun’s reload or magazine size, as the AX-50’s 5 round mags should be sufficient to take down most enemies. Spratt’s June 6 YouTube video shows the ex-FaZe and OpTic star destroying all comers with this AX-50 class. He even racks up a few wins with the AX-50, which is remarkable given the fact most people struggle to get wins with regular weapons. Whether you are able to dominate in a similar way will almost entirely rely upon your sniping skills, but using this class will maximize your chances.

  • Spratt column: SBMM could ruin CoD 2020 but Warzone can save it – Dexerto

Spratt column: SBMM could ruin CoD 2020 but Warzone can save it Spratt[jwplayer UQSrvz25]In his first Dexerto column, Call of Duty sniping legend James ‘Spratt’ Spratt takes a look at Modern Warfare, Warzone, and how to make the next CoD — heavily rumored to be named Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War — the best yet. Within Call of Duty, they’ve mastered battle royale. It fits incredibly in the Call of Duty world, and it’s so successful because it’s so familiar. The looting aspect is so simple and knuckled-down, and it’s a new area of gaming that people love to both watch and play. It was hard for me to transition from regular Modern Warfare multiplayer to Warzone. I’ve built such a huge audience on multiplayer over the years; that’s kind of my bread and butter. But I’ve been trying to break into that world, because the audience for Warzone is way bigger than it is for multiplayer. It’s magical. I’ve been having a blast. Now, Warzone has changed how we see things and what we expect from a Call of Duty game. We’ve got the battle pass, seasons, it’s free-to-play… It’s added an extra layer to the game, that we never had before. Warzone can help multiplayer, especially in CoD 2020 One area they’re not really pushing enough, though, is the idea of ranking up weapons and attachments and getting to that higher level so you can succeed more in Warzone. If they did that and made multiplayer free-to-play, they would have an incredible amount of growth on both sides because people are itching to rank up new guns or their favorite weapons. Moving into the new game, I have this vision of them just nuking the whole map. In an incredible world they blow up the whole map with a nuke and you end up on the new game, whatever it’s called, and you’ve got similar mechanics, same format, Warzone’s still there, you’ve got a brand new map and a brand new multiplayer. I always recall back to Black Ops 2. When I look back at that game it had literally everything, for everybody: If you enjoyed sniping, the game was good for sniping; If you enjoyed running around with a knife, it was good for that; trickshots, it was good for that; using regular guns and pubstomping, it was good for that. Whatever it was that you liked about Call of Duty, that game had. I think ever since then, every game has had certain aspects of that, but they’ve never had the whole thing. As long as #COD2020 allows me to hit some magic like this… I’ll be happy 🤓 Which weapon do you miss the most? 👀 pic.twitter.com/CszcBiZwk2 — James Spratt (@Spratt) August 10, 2020 I think with the new game, they need to figure out a way to have all of those creators, all of those different types of players, succeed. With Modern Warfare, they’ve kind of missed out the middleman. People that are really aggressive can succeed in that game, people who are slower-paced can succeed at that game, but I think the average, running-around-casually players are punished. For me, it comes down to the skill gap. I see it in esports now. I’m not really a big follower of the competitive scene as much as I used to be, but I just see at the moment it’s a different team winning every time, and it kind of showcases that the skill gap isn’t really as high as it used to be. I think that also works within multiplayer. You can see that if you’re at the top, you’re still not thriving as much as you would be on different games because of that smaller skill gap. I think in the next game you need the opportunity, a platform, a game in general, that allows the really good players to thrive and, if you’re on that level, you can’t be touched. If you put time in, if you put the hours in, and you’re a lot better than someone else, you should be rewarded for that skill. It’s happening in Warzone right now. You see players coming out of nowhere, who are absolutely ridiculous, and I just think “They’ve only just started doing it and they’re way better than me!” That’s amazing to see. I love to see that. That’s what the new CoD needs to do within multiplayer as well. SBMM and making CoD 2020 more fun The thing that I hope, and my fingers are crossed for, is that they remove skill-based matchmaking from CoD 2020. When it comes down to it, the actual execution, it just doesn’t allow for much creativity. It doesn’t allow for any unique gameplay because, at the end of the day, if you’re playing against people who are just as good as you, you have to use the best guns in the game to compete. Seriously.. how unreal is this?! Such a crazy opportunity.. so of course, I had to show ’em how it’s done 😈 pic.twitter.com/YC378wcyc8 — James Spratt (@Spratt) August 8, 2020 It’s the same with Warzone, too. SBMM is there as well, I don’t know if it’s as harsh, but I still struggle. You’ve got to use the meta weapons, especially in all these different tournaments. Moving forward, they need to remove SBMM and allow more creativity and unique gameplay from both creators and just people trying to have fun, whether you make videos or not. If you want to run around with something that’s a bit weird, then you can. That’s what I hope for. I don’t think they’ve ever had SBMM within the Black Ops series, so I’m definitely looking forward to that side of things. As long as it plays like a Black Ops game, like a Treyarch game, then I’m happy.

  • Splyce’s Temp roasts Enigma6 ahead of CoD Champs – KiSMET responds – Dexerto

Splyce’s Temp roasts Enigma6 ahead of CoD Champs – KiSMET responds Twitter: @KiSMET6_/CWL/MLGCall of Duty pro Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda has lashed out at opponents Enigma6 as “garbage” ahead of this week’s CWL Championships in Los Angeles. E6’s KiSMET has since responded, firing back shots of his own. Temp is known in the competitive CoD scene for his incredible passion and raw talent. Despite having never won a major tournament, Temp is never afraid to vocalize his feelings, a trait he demonstrated once again on August 11. Ahead of major tournaments, many pro teams meet up to scrim over LAN in order to maximize the standard of practice prior to the event. However, rivalries often come through these LAN clashes, particularly at such a key point in the CoD season. Matthew ‘KiSMET’ Tinsley is a SMG slayer for Enigma6,who burst onto the professional scene during last year’s CoD: WWII, and has quickly established himself as a vocal, passionate competitor. On August 11 though, Temp was labelling him as “garbage” on social media, following matches between the two as they prepare for this week’s tournament. In response to Temp’s original tweet, ex-CoD pro turned CWL analyst Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler asked why Temp was “coming at” KiSMET. Temp replied, stating: “We (Splyce) are winning every map we play versus them in scrims, getting outslayed by 20 because they are just lost.” 600“Fool said ‘I 3-0ed you at Anaheim’ – we had a fill in lmao,” Laroda finished. Enigma6 beat Splyce 3-0 during CWL Anaheim’s pool play, as they topped Pool C with a perfect 3-0 record, while Splyce finished Pool C in last place, ending with an 0-3 record. However, as Temp points out, Splyce were playing with a substitute. Nick ‘Nolson’ Nolson was standing in for the absent Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi. KiSMET seemed unaffected by Temp’s insults, responding with his own Twitter jabs. He posted a video showing Splyce rotating during a Hardpoint scrim, in which all five teammates push through the same choke-point. “And I’m trash?” KiSMET asks. “You guys suck.” Splyce Hardpoint 101, 5 hit a door way on rotation, and I’m “garbage” pic.twitter.com/oVEC9YjIiW — Alpha E6 Matt (@KiSMET6_) August 11, 2019 It’s fair to say that neither KiSMET nor Temp are backing down, and both seem pretty confident in their own abilities going into Champs. Enigma6 are in Pool B alongside Gen.G, Team War and Fuego Gaming. Splyce are in Pool H with Team Heretics, Aspire Esports and Hybrid Gaming. A match-up between the two sides at CoD Champs would undoubtedly be a heated affair. However given the way the pools have been drawn, it seems unlikely that we’ll see the two teams meet – unless they manage to find one another in the Losers’ or Winners’ bracket.

  • Splyce’s Call of Duty Roster Reduced to One Player as Bance Announces Free Agency – Dexerto

Splyce’s Call of Duty Roster Reduced to One Player as Bance Announces Free Agency Ben ‘Bance’ Bance has announced that he is now a restricted free agent heading into the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 season. The Brit has been representing Splyce since December of 2015 but he took to Twitter on August 31 to say that he is now “exploring every option possible for next year”. However, the relationship between the player and organization isn’t completely over, as Bance reveals he is still under contract for the time being. ACHES Offers to Help Buy Amateur Players out of Contracts The move means that Jordan ‘Jurd’ Crowley is now the only remaining player from Splyce’s Call of Duty: WWII roster. The Irishman stated that he was “looking to build something going into the next game” just days ago and also made it clear that he was open to playing with people from all regions. made some bold claims on August 29, saying that the organization was going to “build the best team IN THE WORLD” for Black Ops 4, promising incredible infrastructure, and saying “If you’re a top player, you’re on the radar of Splyce, regardless of region.” It has often been noted that Jurd would be willing to make a move to North America and the fact that Splyce have parted ways with three of their European stars could be a sign that they are considering a move across the Atlantic.

  • Splyce’s Bance Experiences the Strangest 1 vs. 1 Loss in History Against Envy’s Decemate in the CWL Pro League – Dexerto

Splyce’s Bance Experiences the Strangest 1 vs. 1 Loss in History Against Envy’s Decemate in the CWL Pro League Splyce’s Ben ‘Bance’ Bance experienced one of the strangest bullet registration issues you will ever see while playing Team Envy in the CWL Pro League. Splyce’s Call of Duty team had a difficult start to Season 2 of the CWL Pro League, finishing the first week with a record of 1-3 after losing some nail-biting matches. However, they had only secured the services of Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Sheppard in early May and showed a number of signs that week two could be different as they continue to improve on their team cohesion. Their first challenge of the week came in the form of Team Envy on May 22nd. Envy had a strong first week but Splyce came out swinging in the Hardpoint to take a 1-0 series lead. However, the second map, Valkyrie Search and Destroy, went to Team Envy with a 6-5 score which brought the teams level going into the Capture The Flag. This likely wouldn’t have been the case if not for Bance losing a 1 vs. 1 in round six when he seemingly had Jacob “Decemate” Cato dead to rights but his bullets quite literally seemed to disappear. Even the commentators were confused by the exchange, suggesting that some sort of weapon sway or flinch may have been the issue. Luckily for Splyce, they were able to put the frustrating Search and Destroy behind them and take the final two maps to take a 3-1 series win and prove that they are still a team to fear heading into the rest of Stage 2. The European team’s next match will be against the Season 1 Champions, FaZe Clan, on Wednesday, May 23rd. A slow motion version of the Bance vs. Decemate clip can be found below.
