Slept-on Cold War AR is meta again after Warzone Season 5 Reloaded buff ActivisionWarzone’s Season 5 Reloaded update has brought about some big changes to the weapon pool, and has even made a classic Black Ops Cold War rifle meta once again. The Season 5 Reloaded update for Warzone is the final big shake-up that the battle royale will receive before the launch of Warzone 2.0 – which is set to come in November. With players looking to give the second Call of Duty BR a pretty big send-off, they’ve been revisiting some classic weapons and loadouts. The likes of the Grau, M4, and XM4 have all shot up the pick rate charts over the last few weeks, but the meta is still dominated by weapons from Vanguard. However, the older weapons are still pretty viable, and that includes the QBZ from Black Ops Cold War. While its pick rate hasn’t exactly skyrocketed, some experts are still giving it the nod as being useful. Cold War’s QBZ is meta again in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded That includes Warzone YouTuber WhosImmortal, who highlighted the weapon during his updated meta tier list video following the Season 5 Reloaded update as the QBZ received a slight buff. “The QBZ, I’ve been back-and-forth with for a while because it’s always had a very consistent TTK and, for a while, I had it in the top meta category because it’s so similar to the XM4 which is a top tier gun,” the YouTuber said. “They ended up buffing the QBZ with damage multipliers as well. I feel like it deserves a spot back up in here with the XM4. These two weapons are so similar in so many ways. QBZ, great TTK, XM4 has a little easier recoil. When it comes down to it, those two are right there with one another.” Timestamp of 2:55 As noted, the buff hasn’t exactly made every player sit up and take notice of the QBZ. As per WZRanked stats, it still only has a 0.27 pick rate, but it clearly is viable. Who knows if we’ll see it used a bit more across Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island before the launch of Warzone 2.0, but it’s worth trying for a least a few games.

Slept-on Cold War AR has unbelievable TTK after Warzone buffs – Dexerto
Slept-on Cold War AR has unbelievable TTK after Warzone buffs Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone guru WhosImmortal has unveiled a powerful Cold War AR that has devastating TTK in Warzone thanks to buffs in Season 5 Reloaded. When picking an AR in Warzone, most players are using the Cooper Carbine, STG44, or Grau 5.56 as they’re all considered meta options. While all of these weapons are top-tier, their popularity is leading a lot of the community to overlook other lethal guns, particularly those from Cold War. This is especially true following the Season 5 Reloaded patch, where the devs buffed countless underused weapons in the hopes of bringing them into the fold. Well, according to WhosImmortal, one Cold War AR is definitely worth utilizing after Raven increased its damage last patch, giving it one of the fastest mid-range TTKs in Warzone. Best EM2 Warzone loadout in Season 5 Reloaded Attachments Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 25.8″ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd – Describing the EM2 as an “absolute beast”, Warzone expert WhosImmortal is convinced players are sleeping on the deadly Cold War AR. At 70 meters, the gun has a sub-850-millisecond TTK, which means it’s top-tier for mid-range skirmishes and will eliminate enemies in an instant if you can land your shots. While controlling this weapon can be a challenge, the EM2 “brings the power” and with enough practice, you’ll master its heavy recoil pattern. The build above aims to maximize the EM2’s impressive TTK while kitting it out to perform best at mid-range, making it especially lethal if you can make the most of the headshot multiplier. Timestamp of 2:40 While the EM2 is no slouch at long-range, it’s best you use the Overkill perk so you can run a second primary weapon. Although another AR could be a good option, we recommend a sniper for picking opponents from afar. Both the Gorenko and 3-Line Rifle are top-tier options in Season 5 Reloaded. So, don’t forget to test this build in one of your matches, especially if you’re a fan of Rebirth as that’s where the EM2 really thrives.

Slept-on Cold War AR dominates Fortune’s Keep after Warzone Season 4 buff – Dexerto
Slept-on Cold War AR dominates Fortune’s Keep after Warzone Season 4 buff ActivisionLooking to change up your loadout in Warzone? Well, Black Ops Cold War’s M16 is looking like a solid close for mid-range fights, and especially suits those players who play on Fortune’s Keep. The Season 4: Reloaded update for Warzone Pacific has shaken up the battle royale’s meta in a pretty big way. Some previous favorites like the NZ-41, Kilo 141, and MP-40 have slipped down in terms of pick rates, being replaced by alternatives like the KG M40, STG44, and the Armaguerra 43. For some players, the meta is a still a little stale – even if it is a bit more diverse than previous seasons – and they’re on the hunt to find something that’ll give them the edge before Season 5. Well, if you’re someone that prefers mid-range fights and drops into Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep rather than Caldera, the M16 from Black Ops Cold War is looking like a suitable alternative to the more popular assault rifles. That’s right, the classic AR was highlighted by WhosImmortal on August 15, as the Warzone stats guru tried to point his finger on just where exactly it might fit into the meta after a recent buff. “This gun is really going to be the best it can be on Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep,” the YouTuber said, noting some of the struggles that burst rifles can have over long range. “Mid-range, pristine though. And also the fact that this doesn’t have a real damage drop-off, just a slow sort of decrease, it’s really nice,” he added. Best M16 loadout for Warzone Season 4 Muzzle: Agency Silencer – Barrel: 16.3′ Titainium – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Magazine: STANAG 60-round – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – As noted, while the M16 has been a fan-favorite before, it absolutely falls into the catergory of an under the radar pick at the moment. As per WZRanked, the Cold War weapon only has a 0.17% pick rate despite it’s buff. It might not be completely meta right now, but it’s worth giving it a worth if you’re looking for something new – even if that is just for a game or two.

Slept-on AR with lethal TTK is “force to be reckoned with” in Modern Warfare 2 – Dexerto
Slept-on AR with lethal TTK is “force to be reckoned with” in Modern Warfare 2 ActivisonModern Warfare 2 expert WhosImmortal has showcased an underrated AR that’s perfect for “aggressive” players thanks to its low recoil, lethal TTK, and solid mobility. When it comes to the typical run-and-gun playstyle that thrives in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, the majority of players opt to use a meta SMG. While ARs are still incredibly effective, they offer significantly less mobility and are better suited to longer-range gunfights. Despite this, there is one AR that stands out from the crowd and is built for close-quarter skirmishes, making it ideal for anyone looking to rack up countless kills. Luckily, WhosImmortal has identified this underused AR and while it hasn’t been in the arsenal for very long, it has the potential to have a huge impact on the meta. Best Chimera loadout in Modern Warfare 2 Attachments Stock: Ravage-8 – Laser: VLK LZR 7MW – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Magazine: 45-Round Mag – Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip – Added in the Season 1 Reloaded patch, the Chimera or Honey Badger is a “forced to be reckoned with” in Modern Warfare 2 according to WhosImmortal. The pint-sized AR has “low recoil” and a deadly TTK to match, making it the perfect gun for competitors who enjoy the “run-and-gun” playstyle. If you’re looking for a “reliable” and “consistent” build for the Chimera then check out the loadout above, as it pushes the gun’s mobility to its limits, while also maintaining its strong damage output. It’s worth noting that the Chimera comes with a built-in suppressor, so there’s no need to run a barrel on the weapon. Topic starts at 0:30 Although running this without a second primary is certainly viable, we do recommend utilizing Overkill so you can equip a longer-range AR. Both the TAQ-56 and M4 are solid options, but you can also use a sniper if you prefer to pick off enemies from afar in multiplayer. So, give this setup a try in one of your matches, and who knows, it could be the loadout that skyrockets your win rate and KD.

Sleeper Vanguard AR boasts absurdly high win rate in Warzone – Dexerto
Sleeper Vanguard AR boasts absurdly high win rate in Warzone Treyarch/ActivisionA lethal Vanguard AR is being slept on by Warzone players despite having an extremely high win rate in Season 5 Reloaded. Following Warzone’s final major update in the form of Season 5 Reloaded, both the Cooper Carbine and Grau 5.56 have established themselves as the go-to meta ARs. While these options are undeniably strong, their huge popularity leads to a lot of other powerful ARs getting overlooked. Opting to use slept-on guns can be incredibly fun, as most players have forgotten they exist and there’s always a chance you find a hidden gem. Well, that could certainly be the case for one particular Vanguard AR that’s win rate has skyrocketed recently in Warzone. Best Volk loadout in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Attachments Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Krausnick 428mm 05V – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: Reisdorf 22V Adjustable – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Rubber Grip – Perk 1: Perfectionist – Perk 2: On-Hand – While the majority of ARs in Warzone are kitted out to laser beam enemies from afar, the Volk differs slightly as it performs best in mid-range skirmishes. This means it absolutely shreds enemies in closer engagements and is guaranteed to catch your opponents off-guard as very few players use it. Not only that, unlike a lot of other off-meta guns, the Volk’s recoil is extremely easy to control, making it simple to land all your shots on target. The build above aims to maximize the weapon’s damage while bolstering its kickback, giving you a lethal sniper support loadout. Of course, anyone can say a gun in Warzone is a sleeper pick, but what’s so special about the Volk? Well, the Vanguard AR has the stats to back it up. According to WZRanked, the Volk has the third-highest win rate in Warzone at 4% and an impressive 1.16 KD alongside that. This shows that those who are using the Volk are seeing a lot of success, so consider using the gun for yourself and see if it helps you pick up a few wins.

“Sleeper” MW3 AR set to dominate Warzone as Season 3’s best gun – Dexerto
“Sleeper” MW3 AR set to dominate Warzone as Season 3’s best gun ActivisionWarzone guru WhosImmortal has highlighted a “sleeper” assault rifle in the battle royale that is set to dominate in Season 3 if other weapons receive some likely nerfs. With Warzone Season 3 right around the corner, many fans of the battle royale are looking forward to the return of Rebirth Island more than anything else. Yet, the new update will have much more than that. Even though the meta has been in a pretty diverse state recently, the new season will bring a round of weapon balancing that ultimately changes that. According to Warzone expert WhosImmortal – who is constantly at the forefront of things when it comes to meta changes – he believes the MTZ-556, which is currently a “sleeper” weapon, is going to benefit most. The stats guru highlighted the assault rifle in his March 28 video, noting it has a pretty competitive TTK right now, and is up there with the more popular ARs in Warzone. “It can hold its own just fine right now and, in the future, I think it’s going to rise up even more,” the YouTuber said, noting the likes of the BP50 and Ram-7 are likely to be nerfed. “This is one that’s absolutely on the come-up. Highly recommend trying it out and getting used to it, so that way when it does become the number one rifle you’re already ahead of the game.” Muzzle: Casus Brake – Barrel: MTZ Drifter Heavy Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: JAK Glassless – Magazine: 50-round drum – WhosImmortal also noted that the MTZ-556 is currently useful because its damage doesn’t drop off as quickly as some other ARs, and it suits both Resurgence and the normal BR mode. He has been rather reliable with his predictions for changes over the years, but it remains to be seen if he gets this one right as well.

“Sleeper” MW2 rifle dominates with one of Warzone’s best TTK in Season 2 – Dexerto
“Sleeper” MW2 rifle dominates with one of Warzone’s best TTK in Season 2 ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s most popular Warzone rifles is proving to be pretty dominant in the battle royale again, as it has a TTK to compete with plenty of meta guns and choices from MW3. When Warzone’s integration with Modern Warfare 3 first launched, there were fears that guns from Modern Warfare 2 were going to be left behind. Some players even complained that fan-favorite options had become “unusable” thanks to the health and TTK changes. Now, in Season 2, those fears have completely been put to bed. There are a number of guns from MW2 that are competitive in the meta, including long-standing favorites like the M4 and the Lachmann Sub. They could soon be joined by the Tempus Torrent, too, as Warzone expert WhosImmortal has highlighted it the MW2 Marksman Rifle as having one of the best TTKs right now – even though hardly anyone is using it. Best Tempus Torrent loadout in Warzone for Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 “Another weapon I don’t think gets enough credit is the Tempus Torrent. This thing could honestly be built out as sniper support and work decently well there too but then also over ranges, this thing is ridiculously strong there too and I’d say slept on as well,” the YouTuber said in his February 18 video on best Time to Kills. WhosImmortal noted that the MW2 favorite has a 619 ms TTK in fights around 40 meters, so it is a mid-range beast, utilizing attachments like the Corio Eagleseye 2.5x optic, 24’ Outreach barrel, and FTAC SP-10 Angle Grip. “Another MW2 gun that probably doesn’t get enough credit. This thing can be pretty nasty,” he added. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: 24’ Outreach 4 – Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angle Grip – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Magazine: 50 round drum – Timestamp of 6:27 The only real drawback to using the Tempus Torrent is that 50-round drum, which utilisies the clunkier 7.62 rounds. Though, the marksman rifle is pretty easy to control, so if you hit your shots, you’ll be fine anyway. As we’ve seen, it isn’t the only MW2 gun to start outperforming some options from MW3 – the STB 556 was also recently highlighted as a top option. So, we might see some of the classics start to return to the fold in a big way.

‘Sleeper’ Modern Warfare sniper could be Warzone’s deadliest weapon – Dexerto
‘Sleeper’ Modern Warfare sniper could be Warzone’s deadliest weapon ActivisionThere’s a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sniper getting some love from Warzone players, and even though it is rather underused, it’s deadly too. With the integration between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone finally coming around, the weapons from the franchise’s newest title have, unsurprisingly, shot to the top of the usage charts in the battle royale. Five of the current top ten are from Vanguard, but there are plenty from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as well, as the 2019 title is seeing a bit of revival on the new map of Caldera. Players have been going back to the likes of the Grau, Mac-10, and even the Kilo. Though, there is another weapon – The SP-R sniper – that has also gotten some love from players, even though it still ranks way outside the meta choices. YouTuber Westie highlighted the sniper in his January 31 video, noting that he personally prefers it to the uber-popular Swiss. The sniper, which ranks as the 27th most-used weapon in the game according to WZRanked, has been criticized in the past for lacking the power of it’s fellow long-range choices. However, as the YouTuber shows, it does pack quite a punch on Caldera. Furthermore, you don’t have to use an all-that unique loadout either. The always popular Monotlihic Suppressor, SP-R 26 barrel, Tac Laser, and Norma mags all feature in the YouTuber’s deadly loadout. As for the final attachment, he opts for the Solozero SP-R 28mm sight. Deadly SP-R Warzone loadout Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: SP-R 26′ – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Solozero SP-R 28mm – Magazine: .300 Norma mag 5-R – The loadout buffs the SP-R’s already solid ADS time, and gives the accuracy a little helping hand as well – which is always helpful with a sniper in Warzone. Whether or not it cracks the meta once again remains to be seen, but it is worth taking for a spin if you want to use something a little different for a game or two.

“Sleeper” LMG with deadly TTK is now meta after Warzone changes – Dexerto
“Sleeper” LMG with deadly TTK is now meta after Warzone changes ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s “sleeper” LMGs is proving to be pretty deadly in Warzone after some of the other LMGs were nerfed in Season 1. In years gone by, LMGs were viewed as too slow and heavy by some Call of Duty fans who would simply ignore them in favor of an assault rifle or SMG. However, when it comes to Warzone, LMGs have had plenty of shine. The heavy-duty weapons obviously pack a punch with their high fire rate, but their ammo capacity is also what’s got them in the good books of many players. That’s without mentioning the fact that they barely drop off in TTK across the different damage ranges in the battle royale. In Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1, LMGs had been hit with some nerfs. Though, it wasn’t enough to scare some players off using them altogether. Those nerfs have actually helped propel some slept-on options up the popularity charts. Best Holger 26 loadout in Warzone That’s according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, anyway, as he believes the Holger 26 is now a viable option for anyone who opts for LMGs over anything else. “A lot of the LMGs ended up getting nerfed which, in turn, indirectly makes sort of a sleeper weapon a whole lot better,” the YouTuber said. “It does actually fry, this thing is surprisingly good.” With the changes, the Holger 26 has a TTK of around 800 m/s, which is on par with the likes of more popular options in the form of the Bruen MK9 and TAQ Eradicator. The Holger, however, doesn’t drop off as much as those two when you stretch into fights over 30 meters. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: Holger Factory barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy support – Optic: CoroioEagleseye 2.5x – Stock: Ascent Lord stock – There aren’t many knocks on the Holger given that its mobility – movement and reloading speeds – are pretty middle of the pack for an LMG. With Season 2 on the horizon, the devs may have changes up their sleeve that affect the Holger’s long-term chances at staying meta but, for now, it is worth using.

Sleeper Cold War AR still boasts impressive win rate & KD stats in Warzone – Dexerto
Sleeper Cold War AR still boasts impressive win rate & KD stats in Warzone Treyarch/ActivisionA lethal Cold War AR is not getting the attention it deserves in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded despite having an impressive win rate and KD. For the majority of Warzone players, Vanguard ARs are their go-to choice of weapon in Season 5 Reloaded. Both the Cooper Carbine and STG44 have established themselves as powerful options with solid TTKs and pinpoint accuracy. Despite this, specific guns from the Cold War arsenal still have their place in Warzone, you just need to know where to look. Well, one Cold War AR appears to be a hidden gem and those who are using it are reaping the rewards, as it has a top-tier win rate and KD ratio. Best Vargo 52 loadout in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Attachments Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Barrel: 18.6″ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Ammunition: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd – When it comes to Cold War weapons, very few can compete in the Vanguard-dominated meta but the Vargo 52 is certainly an outlier. Utilizing the build above, the Vargo has minimal recoil and a devastating TTK thanks to the 18.6″ Task Barrel and GRU Suppressor. While the Vargo is a competitive pick on Caldera, it’s Rebirth Island where this AR truly shines because of its overwhelming strength in mid-range gunfights. It’s worth noting that while the Vargo isn’t a popular pick in Warzone, it maintains a solid 0.7% pick rate in Season 5 Reloaded, so a small set of players do enjoy using it regularly. The players that do use this Cold War AR are seeing a lot of success according to WZRanked, with the weapon maintaining a 4.1% win rate and a KD of 1.3. So, if you’re looking to boost your stats in Warzone or just want a new AR that’ll help you dominate your matches, the Vargo 52 is a sleeper pick that’s well-worth testing.

Sledgehammer Responds to Clayster, Ending the Ardennes Forest Mystery Tree Scandal – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Responds to Clayster, Ending the Ardennes Forest Mystery Tree Scandal Sledgehammer Games has finally addressed the recent discussions regarding the Ardennes Forest map in CoD: WWII, putting an end to the debate once and for all. Social media began filling with posts from players who to noticed what they thought were two additional trees near the Cave Hardpoint on Ardennes Forest. Many were upset to see more trees on Forest, because the map struggles with consistent aim assist due to them. James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, a pro CoD player for eUnited, tweeted out an image of the trees in question, expressing his sarcastic disgust. oh boy we got what we always wanted, more trees to lose aim-assist on and stick nades to! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pic.twitter.com/adKiSvWlnO — eU Clayster (@Clayster) July 1, 2018 The CoD community quickly jumped on the issue, loading up Ardennes to look for themselves and see how the new map layout would play. Some players welcomed the new changes, while others continued to deride it. There was just one problem, nothing actually changed on Ardennes Forest. Older images of the game were brought up as a comparison and failed to reveal anything different. The two trees in question have been on the map since the game launched. Although most players quickly switched to laughing about the mystery trees, including jokes about the smoke tactical, a number of community members were not convinced there were no changes. Thankfully, or maybe unfortunately, Clayster’s initial tweet set off alarm bells over at Sledgehammer Games, who sent devs to investigate the code for additional trees on Ardennes Forest. Sledgehammer found nothing, confirming that the Call of Duty community had temporarily lost its mind over the weekend. The Ardennes Forest tree saga has ended with a humorous GIF from Sledgehammer. Confirming that no trees have been added. Side note: Fun weekend for our devs checking code for new trees… pic.twitter.com/sYecfwuSIq — Sledgehammer Games (@SHGames) July 2, 2018 Clayster apologized for being Patient Zero in the Ardennes Forest tree mystery, and took one last jab at smokes. Yeahhhhh, sorry about that, I think there was more trees added to the background and for the past 4 months that entire side of Ardennes has been smoked out so… yeah sorry — eU Clayster (@Clayster) July 2, 2018 The CWL resumes on Monday, July 2nd with the Pro League Challenge, before the CWL Pro League picks back up on Tuesday, July 3rd. Ardennes Forest will have the same amount of trees for both competitions.

Rookie mistake gets Sledgehammer Games Call of Duty Twitter account suspended – Dexerto
Rookie mistake gets Sledgehammer Games Call of Duty Twitter account suspended Sledgehammer Games who are responsible for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Advanced Warfare and WWII managed to get their huge Twitter account suspended. How it got suspended The Sledgehammer Games Twitter (@SHGames) has a sizeable 1.27 million followers, which is a catastrophic amount to potentially lose. Fortunately the suspension has now been lifted although their follower count was showing just 104 and is now, at the time of writing, 407k. The Marketing and Communications Director of Sledgehammer Games tweeted the news about the suspension of their Twitter account. He said: “So umm, hit the wrong birthdate in some random new pop up and got the @SHGames twitter suspended without warning.” He appeared to take it in good humor though, also saying: “How’s your Wednesday night going? lol.” So umm, hit the wrong birthdate in some random new pop up and got the @SHGames twitter suspended without warning… How’s your Wednesday night going? lol This is why I hired @gabehernandez. pic.twitter.com/dmSNVS0pLP — Brian Miggels (@BMiggs) May 23, 2019 The story as to how it got suspended was also revealed. It turns out it was indeed a rookie mistake which has probably got various other accounts suspended also. After a random pop up appeared, which was presumably a verification check, Brian Miggles (the Director of Sledgehammer) accidentally entered the wrong birth date of the account. The result was the below message showing the account had been suspended. 469It wasn’t made clear how but the account has since been reinstated. They now have access to all 1.27 million of their followers again. Sledgehammer Games were expected to be behind the 2020 Call of Duty game. However, due to the progress made this game has been shelved and Treyarch, makers of Black Ops 4, will now assume the responsibility. Twitter security Twitter have stepped out security in recent years, running numerous security checks such as e-mail verification and sending codes via text message. They have also added two factor authentication.

Sledgehammer Games Release Statement on CoD: WWII Ranked Play MMR Resetting to 1500 – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Games Release Statement on CoD: WWII Ranked Play MMR Resetting to 1500 Sledgehammer Games has given an update on the common issue of players’ ranked play MMR suddenly being reset to 1500 for no apparent reason, saying they are ‘looking into it’. Ranked Play has had some very noticeable matchmaking issues such it was first introduced to CoD: WWII back in December 2017, with some going unresolved. Despite the popularity of Ranked Play in previous CoD titles, WWII’s version was marred by these issues and ultimately put people off playing the mode Wins counting as losses, random MMR resets and matching up with unranked players remain issues to this day, but SHG says they are aware and working on a fix for the random MMR resets. More: Clayster Receives the Perfect Gift from Sledgehammer to Celebrate the Ardennes Forest Tree Conspiracy – Sledgehammer also started responding to numerous reports of the issue on Twitter, some from professional players complaining about being hit with MMR demotions. UNILAD player Zach “Zed” Denyer was knocked down all the way from 2416 to 1500. With Black Ops 4 only two months away, there isn’t much time for players to grind up the ranks in WWII before the new game releases, making these MMR resets even more frustrating. Hopefully Sledgehammer is able to not only rectify the issue to prevent it from happening in the future, but also reinstate players’ previous ranks – which, at only 25 points per win, no doubt took considerable effort.

Sledgehammer Games Release Latest Community Update for CoD: WWII – Throwback Perks, Ground War and More – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Games Release Latest Community Update for CoD: WWII – Throwback Perks, Ground War and More Sledgehammer Games have released the latest weekly community update, and this one is stacked full of new features for multiplayer particularly. Sledgehammer started the weekly updates in response to calls from fans for more communication between the development studio and the player base, in order to keep fans up to date with the everything that was happening in CoD: WWII. The weekly community updates cover multiplayer and zombies, as well as celebrating some of the community’s best memes, clips and player content. This week, Friday May 11th, Sledgehammer have announced the throwback playlist, which will include some of the classic perks from older Call of Duty games, including Juggernaut, Stopping Power and Commando. They have also brought back Ground War, which will now be a permanent mode in the game, allowing players to have 9v9 matches, as opposed the standard 6v6. They have also added Dom 75 (75 score per kill, rather than 50), something that players have been calling for since the games release. For Zombies fans, all that was given this week was a piece of the Drostan files – so another mystery to solve. CoD: WWII Weekly Community Update Friday May 11th Multiplayer Dom 75. This is now the new standard on all platforms, so make sure to get in there and play! Weapon Contract and Daily Orders. This week’s Weapon Contract is for the Sterling. Make sure to pick it up before 10AM PDT on Tuesday, May 15. Special Order/Weapon Bribe Issue. For those of you affected, check out ATVIAssist’s Reddit post on this for info about a makegood. Master Prestige Rewards. We’re working on some new rewards for you guys, and want to make them special. While they’re not quite ready yet, we aim to have them ready for you for our next big game update. Thanks for your patience! Weekend Warfare. This weekend, make sure to hop on and take advantage of 2XP on the Throwback Moshpit playlist in the Featured tab, live until Monday, May 14. We’re talking old-school Modern Warfare and MW2 perks as Basic Trainings! We saw how much the community enjoyed the traditional Killstreaks with the Blitzkrieg Basic Training, so we decided to bring back some more MW classics. They are as follows: Commando Pro: + Increased melee range, and no damage from falling + Bonus: Melee faster Danger Close: + Explosives deal more damage + Bonus: Frag x3 Double Tap: + Greatly increased fire rate of weapons + Bonus: Significantly improved hip-fire accuracy Juggernaut: + Increased health Martyrdom: + Drop a live grenade on death + Bonus: Shortens fuse of explosives Stopping Power: + Deal Increased bullet damage Stun x3: + Three British No69 concussion grenades + Bonus: Immune to Shell Shock & Tactical Equipment Lots of oldies, but goodies, in there, so don’t miss out! Ground War. We’ve heard your feedback here. Thank you for your enthusiasm for this mode! As a result, we’re bringing Ground War back next Wednesday, and it will be here to stay. Requisitions Nerf. After taking into consideration community feedback and data, we nerfed Requisitions. We wanted to give the community some insight into our decision. First off, the Requisitions Basic Training was intended to provide novice players with a route to earn mid-tier Scorestreaks. Only on exceptional matches were highly-skilled players meant to be able to acquire top-tier streaks like the Ball Turret Gunner. However, the current frequency with which players are able to earn these top-tier streaks with the training is far too high. To address this issue, we’ve raised the cost of the top 5 Scorestreaks by 600-1200 score when using the Requisitions Basic Training. We’d also like to provide some additional insight into our tuning philosophy. With the Divisions Overhaul on April 10th, we took two initial steps that we hoped would reduce Requisitions usage. These steps were adding the Blitzkrieg Basic Training and buffing the Ordnance Basic Training. A month has passed since the Divisions Overhaul, and Requisitions remains the most-used Basic Training in the game (since the removal of Primed). Due to a difference in score/XP between game modes and maps, Requisitions is tough to tune. The Training has mainly been an issue in Domination, Hardpoint, and on the Shipment 1944 map. For other modes like Team Deathmatch, Requisitions seemed fairly balanced. The aim with today’s tuning is to get Requisitions into a fair place for Dom and HP on non-Shipment 1944 maps. Many of the top streaks will now be exceptionally difficult to earn in TDM. Shipment 1944 will be a bit less chaotic than it has been, but that’s the nature of the map and we can’t tune the game around this very specific edge case. Below are the adjusted Scorestreak costs: Emergency Airdrop: Increased from 1800 to 2400 Fire Bombing Run: Increased from 1950 to 2700 Paratroopers: Increased from 2400 to 3300 Carpet Bombing: Increased from 2850 to 3850 Ball Turret Gunner: Increased from 3600 to 4800 War Bonds. Until May 15, you can pick up War Bonds to earn extra COD Points. The “Hit the Front” Bond gives you 200 COD Points when you sign in. The “Get Intel” Bond gives you 100 COD Points when you sign up for the Call of Duty newsletter. The “Fight On” Bond gives you 200 COD Points when you complete 10 MP matches. Go see the Quartermaster and grab ‘em before they’re gone! For complete details, visit the Call of Duty blog.

Sledgehammer Games Confirms WW2 will be Supported after Black Ops 4 Launch – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Games Confirms WW2 will be Supported after Black Ops 4 Launch Call of Duty: World War II developer Sledgehammer Games plans to support their game for as long as people are playing it. They confirmed their support in response to a tweet from a fan asking what they plan to do after Black Ops 4 launches. The fan was worried that WWII would be forgotten in the hype of Black Ops 4, but Sledgehammer eased their concerns. They replied by saying it will receive support for as long as people are playing. Sledgehammer’s previous game, Advanced Warfare, received new weapons and gear well into the lifespan of Black Ops 3. Black Ops 3 might be the longest supported game yet, with new weapons and maps being added right up until the launch of Black Ops 4. Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts received a 2GB update in August, though it is unclear if any new content was added in the patch. IW’s more recent Infinite Warfare currently has a 2XP event for the week of August 22. The servers for every Call of Duty game are still online. With Sledgehammer’s commitment to WWII beyond the final DLC pack, old school CoD fans put off by the Specialists and abilities of Black Ops 4 may still have new content to enjoy next year.

Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder hilariously slams Black Ops 4 $30 melee weapon – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder hilariously slams Black Ops 4 $30 melee weapon TreyarchTreyarch came under fire from the Black Ops 4 community when it released their controversial Triple Play bundle on March 26, and now a former Sledgehammer executive is joining in on the fun. The latest special offer in the Black Market let players spend a cool 2800 COD points, roughly $30, for a Weapon Crate, 10 cases, and 10 tiers as well as the new Home Wrecker melee weapon. Since the main draw of the Triple Play seems to be the Ultra Melee Weapon, players felt Treyarch weren’t taking them into consideration when they locked the new item behind a bundled price. In a March 27 tweet, Co-Founder and former Studio Head of Sledgehammer Games Michael Condrey set the record straight when someone joked about the microtransactions that are filling Call of Duty titles. In his reply, he detailed how he and his team at the time approached post-launch content, while clarifying that a $30 digital weapon wouldn’t happen under his command. To be clear, AW launched only with rewarded Supply Drops. We were driven by, and at the service of, providing fans more ways (than just XP) to earn rewards, customize their CAC, & express achievements in the virtual lobby. $30 for a melee weapon? Not on my watch. — Michael Condrey (@MichaelCondrey) March 27, 2019 “To be clear, Advanced Warfare launched only with rewarded Supply Drops,” Condrey said. “We were driven by, and at the service of, providing fans more ways (than just XP) to earn rewards, customize their Create-A-Class, and express achievements in the virtual lobby. $30 for a melee weapon? Not on my watch.” The former CoD exec left nothing to interpretation when expressing his views toward the latest bundle from Treyarch and Activision. Twitter users flocked to his reply with both thunderous applause and cheer at the sound of a prominent figure in game development denouncing the latest microtransaction in Black Ops 4. Read more: Black Ops 4 March 27 update patch notes – Gameplay improvements to Blackout, Multiplayer, and more – Since his time at Sledgehammer, Condrey was an executive at Activision until December 2018 when he left for a yet-to-be-announced studio under Take Two Interactive. Going by his feelings toward the latest Triple Play bundle, it’ll be interesting to see how Condrey approaches microtransactions in his next project.

Sledgehammer Games allegedly developing Call of Duty’s 2021 release – Dexerto
Sledgehammer Games allegedly developing Call of Duty’s 2021 release Sledgehammer GamesAs we enter 2021, the developers for this year’s Call of Duty title remain shrouded in mystery, though a prominent leaker appears to have tipped Sledgehammer Games for the next release. One thing is a constant when it comes to Call of Duty: we can always expect a new release towards the end of each calendar year. While it was originally Treyarch and Infinity Ward rotating on a two-year development cycle, Sledgehammer Games was added into the mix for a brief period. From roughly 2012 to 2017, Sledgehammer Games worked on their own titles. Both Advanced Warfare and WWII were released throughout this period. Shortly after, the studio fell back into an assisting role, aiding the development of both 2019’s Modern Warfare and 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. We’re still a few months out from the reveal of 2021’s title. However, we could be in store for another full release helmed by Sledgehammer Games, according to a prominent leaker Tom Henderson. https://twitter.com/_TomHenderson_/status/1345755754796621826 With a history of credible leaks in the CoD community, Henderson, formerly known as YouTuber Long Sensation, shared an image on January 3. This tweet displayed a timeline of the past two years and how all three major studios fall in place. Infinity Ward continued with Warzone development long after its release, according to Henderson. The studio only handed things over in September 2020, giving them just 14 months of development time on a new release, assuming the next title arrives in November 2021 as expected. “Infinity Ward isn’t working on the next title,” he followed up in a Q&A stream on the same day. “Warzone post-launch content ended [for Infinity Ward] in September. A lot of Infinity Ward’s resources were put into Warzone.” Obviously, pumping out an entire new CoD in just 14 months would be an extreme turnaround. Therefore, Sledgehammer Games has supposedly been hard at work on the upcoming release since August 2019. With a release date of November 12 seemingly in place, this could mean that the studio has been focused 2021’s title for two years and three months, according to Henderson. In terms of what this title might actually be, little is known. “Advanced Warfare 2 and a WWII sequel are both plausible,” he said during the stream. Henderson also pointed towards a direct sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare just a few months ago. Read More: CoD League announced 2021 season & format – Clearly, there is a wide range of possibilities for the next title. Anything from mobile exoskeletons to more grounded combat from the WWII era. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as the 2021 release comes into focus.

Sledgehammer confirm new weapons are coming to Call of Duty: WWII – Dexerto
Sledgehammer confirm new weapons are coming to Call of Duty: WWII Sledgehammer GamesSledgehammer Games have announced their plans for new content for Call of Duty: WWII including an unreleased campaign that was meant to be distributed over the recent holiday season. While the majority of Call of Duty fans have transitioned to Black Ops 4, it’s not uncommon to find a pocket of players who stick to old games for whatever reason they may have – however, the support from the game’s developers may not be there as they move to a newer title that is in development. Yet, in a post to the Call of Duty: WWII subreddit, Sledgehammer Games have confirmed that new content is coming for those loyal players who have stuck around and waited for updates. They commented: “To those holding out, hoarding SDs (Supply Drops) for their chance at new weapons in COD: WWII like goldengunner79 (Reddit poster), we appreciate your patience and are hustling to add some fresh new weapons to the game. Takes time to align internally and with our partners at ATVI (Activision), along with other studios.” “We have a plan that’s close to final for unlocking some unreleased variants for existing weapons starting next month and some bigger batched releases of new weapons – spanning all weapon categories – starting later this spring.” New content, under the Winter Siege promo, had been expected in December but it was never released – leaving some fans questioning whether or not Sledgehammer planned to support the game any further. While fans don’t have a confirmed date yet, at least there is confirmation that they will be getting some new content in the near future.

Sledgehammer responds to CoD Vanguard visibility and audio issues – Dexerto
Sledgehammer responds to CoD Vanguard visibility and audio issues Sledgehammer GamesSledgehammer Games are going to further address visibility issues before the next Call of Duty Vanguard Beta window, while also improving audio problems that have been cropping up. After the first Call of Duty Vanguard Beta, Sledgehammer Games (SHG) received a ton of feedback about the graphics quality that could sometimes hinder the visibility in-game. Effects like the blood on the screen when taking damage were a big concern among players. While Sledgehammer have tried to help the situation in previous Vanguard Beta patch updates, they’re going to take another swing at visual and audio problems soon. “We’re aware there is a significant amount of discussion around player visibility and audio mixing,” the company said. “Stay tuned as we will address some of our planned updates later this week.” As always, thank you for the feedback and issue reporting. Keep it coming and we hope you enjoy the rest of your Beta Weekend 🙌 — Sledgehammer Games (@SHGames) September 11, 2021 There were plenty of complaints during the Vanguard beta since gameplay would typically get frustrating after a big fight. The screen would get filled with blood, making the rest of the scene a bit murky. That’s aside from the concerns about Vanguard’s graphics, which some people likened to the kind of visuals we’d get from the Nintendo DS. The only thing more important than seeing where your opponents are is being able to hear their sound queues. This was another point of concern during the Beta as footsteps and other queues would sometimes be missing. This would result in opponents seemingly appearing out of nowhere without warning, causing a ton of confusion in matches. But the studio behind Vanguard announced that they’ll be looking into the audio mixing to enhance the quality of the sound. Sledgehammer will announce more updates on both fronts next week, which will hopefully have more solutions to the burgeoning issues.

Players can also earn better rewards by heading to one of the six Deck the Halls capture points on the map to grab some high-tier loot and decorate the trees scattered at each. To decorate a tree, a player simply stands next to it and, provided there’s no opponents around, the holiday decorations will begin to appear. Trees can be upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 3, and of course, the higher the tree tier, the better the loot — including killstreak animations and weapons. Players who stand at trees for long enough are rewarded with a key transporting them to Santa’s Safehouse for a Zombie Santa Boss Fight. Defeating Santa at his safehouse earns players his minigun, as well as a host of other items. There’s also the Santa’s Slayground challenges, although players will need to place among the top five players fifteen times to complete all seven of these. The Slay Ride Resurgence mode is available to play from December 19 to January 3, 2024.

SlasheR threatens retirement if CDL stays online next season – Dexerto
SlasheR threatens retirement if CDL stays online next season Activision[jwplayer pqm2EgOF]OpTic Gaming Los Angeles star Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat has threatened to retire from Call of Duty if the CoD League stays online into the 2021 season. While SlasheR and his OpTic teammates are among some of the most successful or individually talented players CoD esports has ever seen, this season has been a tough one for them, and the switch from LAN to online play doesn’t seem to have helped. It appears now that SlasheR has had enough, and shortly after the team’s loss to Florida Mutineers at CDL London on in the early hours of July 9, he vented his frustrations with the current climate of the CDL. “Barring a miracle the league will more than likely be online next year,” he said. “I have a lot to think about [and] more than likely will take time off.” He then added that he “won’t put himself through this anymore,” blaming the league’s central south servers not working properly. Baring a miracle the league will more than likely be online next year I have a lot to think about more than likely will take time off. I will not put myself thru this anymore. we suffer because their central south servers cant work properly — SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) July 19, 2020 While some may have thought SlasheR’s threat was merely a heat of the moment statement, he booted up his stream later on and reiterated his point. “I will heavily consider retiring, probably not forever but until LAN comes back, if next year is online,” he said. “I can’t put myself through this anymore. I can’t continue to play 10 hours a day to not even have a fair chance to showcase my talent.” He continued, saying: “It’s one thing if you give it your all and you lose because you just weren’t good enough, but it’s another thing if you don’t even get a chance to give it your all.” If SlasheR were to retire, even temporarily, the esport would be losing arguably one of its greatest talents, but he might change his mind if his team sees some success at this year’s Call of Duty Championships. Players and fans alike will be hoping that some normalcy returns to the world prior to the start of the next CDL season, and LAN events are once more able to go ahead. There has been no official word yet on how the CDL will proceed in 2021.

SlasheR shares his opinion on the Saug in Black Ops 4 after insane Huke kill – Dexerto
SlasheR shares his opinion on the Saug in Black Ops 4 after insane Huke kill It’s not unusual to see professional Call of Duty players suggesting changes to the competitive ruleset or arguing for a certain weapon to be removed, but Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat’s opinion about the Saug 9mm might surprise you. It is generally accepted by both the competitive and casual communities that Black Ops 4 is a game dominated by assault rifles, and that submachine guns are at a disadvantage in the majority of circumstances. In fact, many players have taken to using one of the more mobile AR weapons, the Maddox RFB, as a sort of hybrid SMG due to it being more versatile than any of its competitors from the sub category. The only SMG that is currently making waves in the pro ranks is the Saug 9mm. The small sub is exceptionally mobile and can destroy opponents at close ranges, but tends to struggle once that range is extended. “Got called crazy for saying a gun with built in rapid fire should not be allowed,” SlasheR stated on Twitter, explaining that he believes the Saug’s rate of fire should result in it being banned. “Buff another sub a little or something Saug shouldn’t be a thing.” Nope tried to talk about it and got called crazy for saying a gun with built in rapid fire should not be allowed. Buff another sub a little or something saug shouldnt be a thing — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) November 7, 2018 While the words of the top assault rifle player may come as a surprise to some, it’s worth noting that they came after he and his 100 Thieves teammates scrimmed Team Envy and Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland. Huke has been doing things with the Saug that few other players can compete with during the first few weeks of online scrims and competitions, as can be seen in the clip that SlasheR was responding to. It would seem that SlasheR is currently in the minority when it comes to his opinion of the only submachine gun currently being used in professional play, and it would definitely be worth seeing how the Saug performs on LAN before making any snap decisions. The weapon appears to be pretty well balanced in the hands of most players and the clip of Huke destroying SlasheR on Seaside could just be an example of online play sometimes resulting in questionable kills. On the other hand, everything we’ve seen from Huke in Black Ops 4 so far makes us glad that we’ll never have to face off against him and his trusty Saug.

OpTic’s SlasheR reveals roster problems amid H3CZ buyout – Dexerto
OpTic’s SlasheR reveals roster problems amid H3CZ buyout Activision/OpTicCall of Duty veteran Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat has spoken of his CDL Rostermania headache, as uncertainty over a reported OpTic buyout dominates the LA side’s off season. The CDL’s first off season has not been without significant controversy. Just days after winning the first CDL Championships, Dallas Empire parted ways with Clayster, while Dashy has undergone a switch from OpTic Gaming LA to Chicago Huntsmen. While aspects of the ongoing CDL rostermania remain unclear, teams are beginning to fall into shape ahead of the release of Black Ops Cold War. One team that has not yet taken shape, though, is OpTic Gaming Los Angeles. After a disappointing first season, rumors have swirled over the future of the organization, with reports stating that former OpTic CEO H3CZ has reacquired the company. This has, understandably, shrouded the organization in uncertainty, with questions arising over H3CZ’s concurrent involvement in the Chicago Huntsmen and its parent company, NRG. During an October 2 live stream of Hitch’s throwback MW2 tournament – which Slasher’s team would go on to win – he explained how the uncertainty is affecting his ability to build a roster. “No clue bro,” he responded, when asked what the situation with OpTic was. “I just hope whatever’s happening can hurry up so I can construct a team. Because I’m four weeks late in Rostermania – haven’t been able to build a team. Which is actually f**king wonderful bro(!)” He finishes: “A lot of my top picks are gone now, because it’s four weeks late but you know?” The delays have given other teams time to pick up the top talent in world Call of Duty, while SlasheR and OpTic have been sat on their hands because of the organization’s reported buyout. Given SlasheR’s incredible track record in competitive Call of Duty, we’re not willing to write any roster off yet, but it’s clear that the Black Ops Cold War season hasn’t started in the way he’d have hoped.

SlasheR hits back as Methodz mocks OpTic’s CDL position – Dexerto
SlasheR hits back as Methodz mocks OpTic’s CDL position OpTic LA / MLGToronto Ultra’s Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni took a shot at OpTic Gaming Los Angeles and their winless start to the 2020 Call of Duty League, but former world champion Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat came right back at him. Trash talk goes hand-in-hand with the professional Call of Duty scene, but if you come at one of the all-time greats, you’d better not miss. During a March 3 stream of Modern Warfare, Chicago Huntsmen star Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper was streaming his warmups in Ground War with several other pro players in a call. With too many players for a 5v5 match, someone had to be dropped, and Ultra’s Methodz suggested that perhaps the decision should be made on current Call of Duty League standings. “It’s funny because some players being kept have zero CDL points.” When someone asked him to name players, Zinni replied, “I don’t want to do it but I will, Austin [SlasheR] has zero CDL points.” Barely a second passed before the 2016 World Champion fired back. “At least I have ten times your earnings,” SlasheR replied, prompting a surprised response from the group. There is some truth to both of their points. OpTic LA have gotten off to a very slow start, having not yet won a series in CDL. SlasheR is one of the scene’s highest all-time earners, ranking sixth all-time on the with over $623,370. But Methodz made it clear that the past is the past, and that he’s focused on the now. “Everybody’s freaking out but the past is the past, and all I know is I got some [CDL] points alright? So you can say “ohhhh” all you want but I’m happy with where I am in life, fuck you.” Unfortunately, it will be some time before the two players face off after this little bit of banter, as OGLA and Toronto Ultra aren’t scheduled to be at the same event until week 7 of CDL, at the Florida Home Series in April. Both teams will look to have improved their forms by then, as the two rosters sit in the bottom two of the league’s standings. Ultra are next-to-last with a 1-5 record, while OGLA are in dead last at 0-4. OpTic will look to pick up their first win against a potentially new-look LA Guerrillas at their shared LA home series on March 7-8, which you can follow along with our coverage hub here.

SlasheR Explains Why Allowing All Weapons in Competitive CoD Would Not Mean More Variety – Dexerto
SlasheR Explains Why Allowing All Weapons in Competitive CoD Would Not Mean More Variety Rise Nation’s Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat has weighed in on the weapon variety debate in competitive Call of Duty, saying “pros will find the best class and that will be used 99% of the time”. SlasheR’s Twitter rant began with him saying “Do people actually believe that if all the guns were allowed in CoD that there would be more weapon variety? LOL”. The 2016 world champion proceeded to state “there will ALWAYS be a BEST AR and BEST SUB no matter what’s allowed and no matter how much they want to ‘balance’”. OpTic, Luminosity, compLexity and Envy to Boot Camp Together Ahead of CoD Champs 2018 This is a debate that has been raging within the competitive Call of Duty scene for years now, with some arguing that changing the core game alienates the mainstream community, and others saying that the “out of the box” version of any Call of Duty game is not viable for competitive play. eUnited’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks recently suggested that Call of Duty esports should try playing 5 vs 5 and allowing all maps, weapons and more in Black Ops 4, saying that it could result in record breaking viewership.

Slasher concerned that OpTic, FaZe and 100T will miss out on CoD franchise league – Dexerto
Slasher concerned that OpTic, FaZe and 100T will miss out on CoD franchise league Esports journalist Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau has explained why Activision Blizzard “needs” move to a franchised league – including whether or not their favorite team will even be in the league, and if they are, there are lingering questions about their original names remaining in the first place. While the first five teams have already been announced, with Team Envy even securing a spot, three of the biggest names are still yet to be announced as having a place. For Slasher, that’s something that will have to change because Activision Blizzards “needs” them, regardless of who has already bagged a spot. “Gen.G is not the first team that I think of like whos missing,” started Slasher, speaking to Cheddar Esports. “Right away, it’s where’s FaZe, where’s OpTic, where’s 100 Thieves? FaZe and OpTic especially are like Call of Duty history – they’re the two teams. That’s why people tune into Call of Duty esports now.” Read More: Overwatch League team in the Houston Outlaws whereas FaZe and 100 Thieves are yet to invest into having a team. “They do not have an initial relationship with Activision Blizzard right now, but Activision Blizzard needs them in the league,” added Slasher. “I don’t know what’s going to happen if the Call of Duty league starts and there’s no FaZe, no OpTic or 100 Thieves.” i spoke to @CheddarEsports on Activision Blizzard franchising Call of Duty by the time the first season starts next year i expect FaZe, OpTic, and 100 Thieves to all be there – and Activision Blizzard needs them to be pic.twitter.com/2lFmuXMtfX — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) May 10, 2019 Slasher followed up his comments on Twitter, expanding on why he believes Activision Blizzard needs the teams – adding that they all have “leverage in negotiating” whenever that happens. FaZe, OpTic, and 100T have the leverage in negotiating with Activision Blizzard who need them for Call of Duty to succeed, but will still end up paying tens of millions of dollars Acti Blizz NEEDED Twitch for the first season of OWL and Twitch still paid them $45 million a year — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) May 10, 2019 While many fans might assume that the OpTic, FaZe, and 100 Thieves are pretty much guaranteed a spot, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Plenty expected OpTic, at the very least, to be within the first batch of teams announced – yet that didn’t happen. Things become complicated for FaZe and 100 Thieves as they could try and compete for the same Los Angeles-based franchise spot. The notorious CoDBurner, an insider on all things CoD esports, has already claimed that the Los Angeles franchise spot had become the subject of a huge bidding war – with FaZe not interested. However, it still remains to be seen if any of the iconic Call of Duty brands are able to work their way into the upcoming franchised league anytime soon. –

SlasheR & Cellium hit back at Drazah over Atlanta FaZe cheating allegations – Dexerto
SlasheR & Cellium hit back at Drazah over Atlanta FaZe cheating allegations CDLCDL pros SlasheR and Cellium have responded to LA Thieves’ Drazah, after the latter accused Atlanta FaZe of cheating and breaking the Gentlemen’s Agreement. The Call of Duty League Major 3 qualifiers are now underway, and things are certainly heating up between teams. Following the first day of competition, LA Thieves’ Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan hit out at Atlanta FaZe, alleging that they cheated during their game, using a ‘stair glitch’. SlasheR & Cellium respond to cheating accusations In a February 20 tweet, Drazah slammed Atlanta FaZe, accusing Cellium of breaking the Gentlemen’s Agreement by stair glitching during the first map. “Well deserved loss for doing this in a match, this is the exact reason why stair glitching is GA’d right now,” Drazah wrote on Twitter after the game. Hitting back, SlasheR jumped to Cellium’s defense, claiming that he wasn’t stair glitching — noting that his teammate wasn’t even prone. “Bro he’s not stair case glitching. You have to be up on the staircase laying down. Quit being weird,” he responded. However, Drazah continued to argue his case, claiming that his point of view would make SlasheR think otherwise. The Atlanta FaZe pro responded once more, this time accusing LA Thieves of using Loudness Equalization. Although not part of the GA, the setting gives players an advantage when it comes to listening out for footsteps. “No I wouldn’t think different, I can tell from the screenshot. Also don’t you guys have sound eq on??? lmao you cannot be serious,” SlasheR replied. He continued: “Also it’s hilarious you are so TEED (LOL) you don’t even know whats going on, he’s crouched.” “Don’t do drugs kids,” Cellium added, with a laughing emoji. It’s clear that the COD community is split when it comes to the Loudness Equalization setting. However, it’s still yet to be prohibited among the pros. Likewise, stair glitching will likely remain a point of contention unless it is targeted for a fix by developers.

SlasheR calls out CoD pros ‘baiting’ their teammates for better stats – Dexerto
SlasheR calls out CoD pros ‘baiting’ their teammates for better stats Professional Call of Duty player, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, has called out some of his fellow CWL pros for ‘baiting’ their teammates to have better in-game stats, rather than playing just for the win. It’s not often easy to determine just how good a player is in an action packed game of competitive Call of Duty, especially in modes such as Hardpoint, so fans and analysts often refer to a player’s statistics, such as their Kill/Death ratio, to get a better read on their in-game performances. One bad habit, perhaps more common among the amateur players, is focusing moreso on their individual K/D ratio, using their teammates as ‘bait’ (waiting for teammates to push first, to pick up easy trades), instead of playing the objective normally, which can hold teams back from their full potential. Following some of the final matches of the CWL pro league, 2016 Call of Duty World Champion SlasheR voiced his opinion that some of his fellow pro players are guilty of “baiting their team.” He also suggested that many fans appear oblivious to this, praising said players for their impressive individual scorelines, not realizing that it could be at the expense of the team’s performance. Read More: Crimsix accuses OpTic CoD of being “mentally checked out” after getting thrashed by eUnited – Although he did not specify which of the pro players he was referring to specifically, SlasheR criticized fans for defending the players who were prone to ‘baiting’, saying, “I still see CoD fans think it’s ok that someone is hard baiting their team like it’s their job lol” I still see cod fans think it’s ok that someone is hard baiting their team like it’s their job lol  — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) July 6, 2019 eUnited star, Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson, seemed to share the same sentiment as SlasheR on players baiting their team, as he jokingly mocked the “stat players”. “Those are the best players though?” Prestinni asked, with just a hint of sarcasm. “Most skilled. Most selfless. Play the most proper CoD. They’re the reason they win games bro. Stat players do it all man. We know this.” SlasheR followed up by explaining that it requires strong team synergy and good in-game stats to win games consistently and claimed that the final year before franchising has seen even more players looking to boost their K/D: “The people who put up the stats and play as a team win games. This year more than ever I see people legit playing for a player card number.” The people who put up the stats and play as a team win games. This year more than ever I see people legit playing for a player card # lmao — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) July 6, 2019 SlasheR’s teammate on 100 Thieves, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt also chimed in, jokingly claiming that SlasheR himself was among those guilty of baiting, explaining, “That’s why I’m trying to get you to get a lil more pep in your step.” Although Enable was likely joking, it appears as if the 100 Thieves squad have figured out what works in Black Ops 4, as they have already claimed two trophies this year going back-to-back in CWL London and Anaheim. SlasheR breaks silence after LA Thieves bench former Call of Duty world champ – Dexerto
SlasheR breaks silence after LA Thieves bench former Call of Duty world champ Call of Duty LeagueTwo days after the Los Angeles Thieves made yet another roster shuffle in the 2021 Call of Duty League season, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat has opened up on what the future holds. The LA Thieves first season in the CDL hasn’t quite panned out as they would have hoped. Despite re-entering competitive CoD with a ton of hype behind them, the original star-studded roster has undergone a number of changes just two Stages in. Donny ‘Temp’ Laroda was benched in March and just two weeks later, former world champion SlasheR joined him. The pair were sidelined for Challengers rookies Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez and Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan respectively. Finishing at the bottom of Group A with a 1-4 record in Stage 2, half of the roster has now been replaced ahead of the next Major. While rumors immediately began circulating as to why SlasheR, of all players, was rotated out, the veteran just took to Twitter in order to “clear the air.” Just wanted to clear the air.. As a competitor I would never bench myself this was not my decision. I still want to continue competing and would never just give up. Appreciate all the support and GL to teams competing this weekend — SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) April 7, 2021 “As a competitor I would never bench myself,” he said. “This was not my decision.” The official announcement from LA Thieves outlined how they wanted to “give SlasheR some time off.” Based on SlasheR’s response, however, sitting out for the $500,000 Major is not something the veteran had intended on. “I still want to continue competing and would never just give up,” he added. “Appreciate all the support and GL to teams competing this weekend.” Despite a hot start in Stage 1, LA Thieves have struggled ever since the first Major. Securing just six map wins across five matches in Stage 2, LA Thieves fell to the bottom of Group A. The revamped roster is all set to meet Paris Legion in round one of the Loser’s Bracket on April 7. So where exactly does SlasheR go from here? With his heart still set on competing for the year, being benched limits his options. He could drop down into the Challengers circuit, similar to Temp who now competes as part of the WestR lineup. Alternatively, this shakeup could pave the way for a ‘blockbuster’ trade. Here’s a deep dive on where we think the veteran might end up in 2021.

SlasheR and Bevils Respond to Criticism of Latest Gentleman’s Agreement in Competitive Call of Duty – Dexerto
SlasheR and Bevils Respond to Criticism of Latest Gentleman’s Agreement in Competitive Call of Duty Rise Nation’s Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and the coach of Evil Geniuses, Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevil, have weighed in on the recent gentleman’s agreement involving the ITRA burst fire assault rifle in Call of Duty: WWII. Professional Call of Duty players recently made a new gentleman’s agreement not to use the ITRA, or Long Barrel on the BAR, in competitive play as they believe them to be overpowered. While some pros, like OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, have spoken out against this decision, the majority seem to think it was the right choice and it will therefore stand. Gentlemen’s agreements hold no weight in the eyes of the CWL so players could decide to still use the weapon but it would be seen as poor etiquette, and likely cause community outrage, so don’t expect to see any ITRA game play when Season 2 of the CWL Pro League begins. With gentlemen’s agreements being more prevalent than ever before in Call of Duty: WWII, the divide between pros and fans seems be greater than ever and a number of Reddit threads and Twitter posts that criticized the players popped up after the agreement was made public. In one of these Reddit threads, SlasheR and Bevils defended the decision and explained why they believed it would improve things: The main argument in favor of banning the ITRA is that it is so powerful that no other options are being picked for the likes of Search and Destroy tournaments while even respawn requires two of the burst rifle in virtually all maps. While critics say that constantly banning powerful weapons or attachments will make the game boring, the professional player and coach argue that the effect will be the total opposite. Debates about gentlemen’s agreements in profesional Call of Duty seem to a weekly occurrence now, so it is unlikely that anything will be entirely resolved in the near future.

SlasheR & ACHES call for CDL to take action over Adderall use among CoD pros – Dexerto
SlasheR & ACHES call for CDL to take action over Adderall use among CoD pros ActivisionAfter LA Thieves’ Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland’s admission to using Adderall throughout a stint in his Call of Duty career, a number of top pros and community members came out to call for a major change in the CDL. Huke’s admission came after a trying few months for the young star, which saw him struggle on Dallas Empire before a move to LA Thieves and a fairly prompt benching. He’s received heaps of support from the community, including fans and other pros, and even earned his spot back on the LAT starting roster for the remainder of Stage 4. As well as that, it caused some serious conversations to be had among the community over the use of Adderall, and several players called for drug testing to be introduced and for the CDL to take action. Among those is Huke’s current Thieves teammate, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, who has also been reinstated to the roster alongside him. “I’ve been calling for something to be done since 2013,” he said, a regular requester of more regulation around substance usage in the pro CoD scene. “Wish I coulda played against some of these ppl [sic] sober.” I’ve been calling for something to be done since 2013.. All natural brotha wish I coulda played against some of these ppl sober. They probably would be visually shaking on stage lol tbh glad Cuyler spoke on it — SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) June 9, 2021 Two-time world champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price also released a lengthy statement on the matter, saying that Huke’s video “sparks a serious bigger question.” He said: “The CDL has been warned since its inception from numerous people about Adderall and the need to drug test to actually enforce it. Even though they admitted it’s against the rules, they’ve disregarded and turned a blind eye since Day 0 (before the CDL even began). I feel like NOW they have to act.” Doug ‘Censor’ Martin also had some thoughts on the matter. After tweeting that he was hopeful for a system to drug test players, he went on to post a video explaining his thoughts. “I think it’s really important the Call of Duty League can do something, if there’s anything they can do, because it’s so easy to make an impression on a player to make them think if they want to perform at the highest level, they need to take this drug. The bottom line is, they don’t. I think we need more players to talk about the fact you don’t need it. Adderall in Call of Duty competitive esports pic.twitter.com/3A1CubftGE — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) June 9, 2021 Obviously, there was a lot of discussion following the release of Huke’s video, and there will be continued conversations surrounding the topics mentioned in it. With some of the biggest names in the scene calling for change, this might be the start of something big for the future of the CDL.

SlasheR reveals his biggest frustration with 100 Thieves teammates – Dexerto
SlasheR reveals his biggest frustration with 100 Thieves teammates Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat has revealed what his teammates do that infuriates him on the January 16 episode of CWL Hot Mic. Hot Mic sees CWL caster Clint ‘Maven’ Evans sit down with Call of Duty pro players and discuss what is going on in the community, with Liddicoat making an appearance in the build up to the CWL Pro League Qualifier. During the show, Evans brought up a clip from an old stream that showed SlasheR arguing with his 100 Thieves teammates after a match, specifically mentioning his biggest issue with his squad, timekeeping. “From now on, all five of us better be ready when we’re starting the scrim,” Liddicoat told his team. “I’m five minutes late and I’m the first one here. We’re not starting late from now on. If we’re not calling out, I’m getting off. If we’re not giving 100% every map, I’m getting off.” While SlasheR’s teammates giggled in the background, the American confirmed to Maven that he was very serious about what he said, telling the caster: “It’s super serious. Especially after a poor performance at the Las Vegas Open.” “If we’re showing up late, that’s already a bad start. Our practice was poor going into Vegas, I want us to be on time, to be warmed up so the first map isn’t a waste of our time. “This is a problem in the whole pro community. Players are 30 minutes late. Like, come on, let’s take this seriously.” 100 Thieves are currently competing in the CWL Pro League Qualifier, as they aim to secure their spot in the Pro League which kicks off in February. The team’s tournament got off to a bad start, falling 3-0 to Midnight Esports, but were able to right the ship later on that night with an incredible comeback victory over Team SpaceLy.

SlasheR and Aches amp up their trash talk ahead of the CWL Pro League – Dexerto
SlasheR and Aches amp up their trash talk ahead of the CWL Pro League Call of Duty pro players Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price got in a hilarious war of words after a fan claimed ACHES had mentored the 100 Thieves star. The pair were part of Team Envy back in 2016, but after failing to finish above 5th in any of their opening Black Ops 3 tournaments together, ACHES was dropped from the squad. With many of Call of Duty’s current top stars having previously played with Price, a picture posted on Twitter that showed ACHES as a mentor for players like SlasheR and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter caught Liddicoat’s eye. SlasheR immediately responded to the tweet by saying: “Fool didn’t teach me a damn thing,” a claim that ACHE’s refuted, stating that he did, “but by recent performances, you must have forgotten it all.” Of course I did, but by recent performances you must’ve forgotten it all. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) January 31, 2019 “You keep talking reckless and I’ll fuck around and take your spot [on Team Envy] so Huke has some damn help,” responded Liddicoat, with Price taking aim at 100 Thieves’ shaky start to the Black Ops 4 season by telling SlasheR: “Before you worry about other teams, get 100 Thieves some damn help.” Help? Before you worry about other teams, get 100T some damn help shit — Patrick Price (@ACHES) January 31, 2019 Clearly entertained by the exchange, Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly got involved, attempting to arrange a fight between the former teammates, labelling the back and forth as “the best thread ever.” This is the best thread ever fuck me you man just gotta scrap next — Dylan Daly (@MadCat) January 31, 2019 While ACHES and SlasheR went head-to-head on social media, the pair will soon face off on Black Ops 4 as Team Envy and 100 Thieves have both been drawn in Division B of the CWL Pro League. Before the two can square off, Division A will take center stage, with the full schedule for the opening week of the tournament released. Slacked hits out at “weird and fake” Florida Mutineers teammates after leaving CDL team – Dexerto
Slacked hits out at “weird and fake” Florida Mutineers teammates after leaving CDL team ActivisionJust hours after it was announced that Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry would officially be parting ways with Call of Duty League’s Florida Mutineers, he didn’t hold back when asked on stream about his former teammates, going in on them as “weird” and “fake.” Slacked was moved to the substitute bench in April ahead of the Stage 3 Major, and had failed to earn his spot back on the starting roster ever since. Now, the team definitely look like they can do some damage in the CDL, and Slacked has committed himself to grinding it out in Challengers and growing his stream. Does he miss playing with his Florida teammates, though? We’d guess not after this… While grinding out some games on his first stream after leaving the team, one viewer asked who his favorite Mutineers teammate was — and got a little more than they bargained for. Read More: CDL 2021 Power Rankings – “I really didn’t have one,” Slacked said, after a short moment trying to figure out what to say. “Those guys were pretty weird to me, man, I’m not going to lie. Pretty damn weird and fake.” He finished off saying “I really don’t like any of those guys, to be honest. I don’t got a problem with them, but they did me kind of dirty.” It’s no secret that Florida had their struggles with Slacked, and this was apparent in some of their results. But for Slacked to outright say he didn’t like any of his teammates will likely come as a surprise to Mutineers fans. It’s unlikely Slacked finds himself on another CDL team during the 2021 season, but it will be interesting to see if he ends up on a starting roster in 2022, because that Slacked vs. Florida Mutineers grudge match would be a must-watch. Skrapz shares update on FaZe’s chances of buying Call of Duty franchise spot – Dexerto
Skrapz shares update on FaZe’s chances of buying Call of Duty franchise spot charlieINTEL / FaZe ClanProfessional player Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall has shared an update on FaZe Clan possibly purchasing a spot in Call of Duty esports’ upcoming franchise league. Call of Duty’s transition to a franchise league starting in 2020 has clouded the futures for a lot of prominent organizations in the esport. Many of the teams that fans have gotten used to seeing compete in competitive CoD are facing the risk of being left on the outside looking in, mainly due to the massive price that Activision have been asking for each spot, as well as the purchasing criteria. One such organization is FaZe Clan, which has obviously been one of the premier teams in CoD for a very long time, but members have largely remained mum on their involvement with the new league that’s being set up. Read More: CoD pros discuss their embarrassing tweets – However, there seems to finally be an update that’s been shared, courtesy of Skrapz, who joined FaZe’s pro team mid-April when they bought their way into the CWL Pro League, purchasing Red Reserve’s spot. According to what Skrapz said during his August 21 livestream, there’s actually a pretty high chance that FaZe will be buying a spot in the CDL. “We’ve been told there’s an 80% chance we get a spot,” he said. “That’s what we’ve been told at FaZe. That’s what we got told at FaZe. Anything can happen, so I’m just going to wait.” Of course, there are a lot of circumstances that FaZe are going to have to consider if they are indeed intent on buying a spot. For one, the league is going to be city-based, and with both Los Angeles spots already being sold, to Immortals Gaming Club and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment respectively, the organization will have no chance of representing the city that they’re based in. Read More: Censor announces return to competitive CoD – That then means they’re going to have to build headquarters and a base of operations in a different city, on top of paying the rumored $25 million that each CDL spot costs. However, if FaZe do end up getting a spot in the CDL, they’re going to have a plethora of star-studded talent to choose from for their Call of Duty lineup, including the five players that were on the squad this season as well as members returning from their loan spells. ALL CALL OF DUTY PLAYERS UNDER CONTRACT WITH FAZE CLAN STARTED THIS SEASON: Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto – McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel – Obaid ‘Asim’ Asim – Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall – Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris – RETURNED FROM LOAN Dillon ‘Attach’ Price (loaned to Evil Geniuses) – Thomas ‘GRVTY’ Malin (Loaned to Sage eSports) – Timothy ‘Phantomz’ Landis (Loaned to UYU) – James ‘Crowder’ Crowder (loaned to 100 Thieves) – Preston ‘Priestahh’ Greiner (loaned to 100 Thieves) – Additionally, according to new CDL details released on August 20, they will have the chance to match any contract offers to their players, meaning they’ll be able to retain any of the players they are set on representing them next season. This is why Skrapz, in the clip above, mentioned biding his team, as he knows that if there’s an 80% chance that FaZe buy a spot, then there’s also a strong chance he won’t be going anywhere after all.

Skrapz Shares Some Promising News Regarding His Roster Situation – Dexerto
Skrapz Shares Some Promising News Regarding His Roster Situation It looks like things might finally be looking up for Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshell as he has announced that he should have his team situation sorted “by the end of the day”. Widely regarded as the star player for UNILAD during the first half of the Call of Duty: WWII season, Skrapz was one of the most sought after players heading into the transfer period between Season 1 and Season 2 of the CWL Pro League. Despite a number of teams, both at home and abroad, reportedly showing interest in the Englishman, it quickly became apparent that his destination of choice would be Red Reserve. Unfortunately there seems to have been a number of stumbling blocks on the way to making that deal happen, despite Skrapz saying that his current team supports his decision to leave. According to Red Reserve’s Rhys ‘Rated’ Price, the Red Reserve player that Skrapz would potentially be replacing has been being “stubborn” despite initially saying that they couldn’t wait to be dropped. The whole ordeal has clearly been getting to Skrapz, who announced on April 29th that he may even end up on the bench for the rest of the season, but things seem to finally be looking up as he revealed on April 30th that things should be sorted “by the end of the day”. Hopefully have a decision sorted by the end of the day with rosters etc — skrapz (@skrapzg) April 30, 2018 If what Skrapz says is true, the most likely outcome is that Red Reserve and UNILAD have finally come to an agreement. However, with Splyce currently on the lookout for a new fourth after benching Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren, it is entirely possible that they managed to make a last minute swoop for the UNILAD player.

Skrapz reveals the only thing that could stop him being on CDL team – Dexerto
Skrapz reveals the only thing that could stop him being on CDL team Call of Duty LeagueBritish Call of Duty pro Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall has revealed the one and only thing that could stop him from being on a Call of Duty League team for the forthcoming season, ending weeks of speculation over his future in the CDL. [jwplayer MSpVmKRG] Throughout the CDL offseason, many fans were shocked to see the twins, Skrapz and Bradley ‘Wuskin’ Marshall, leave the London Royal Ravens, given their popularity among viewers and, in particular, London fans. For a while, it looked like neither of the Mancunian twins would be representing a city in the second season of the Call of Duty League, with Wuskin hitting out at fellow pros spreading “dirt” about himself and his brother. While their CDL hopes looked bleak for a while, things may have taken a turn for one of the twins, as Skrapz discussed his situation on stream. With some teams not yet having a complete roster — in particular, the likes of Paris Legion, who have not announced a single player for their squad yet — we might yet see Skrapz make an announcement sometime soon. After being asked how a meeting went during a Black Ops Cold War stream, Skrapz said that it went “really well,” revealing the only logistical thing that could cause an issue in terms of his standing on a team. “To be honest, guys, the only thing that doesn’t get me a league spot next year is potential Visa f**k-ups,” he said. “That’s around about it really.” Of course, with the majority of gameplay taking place in the United States, any players from Europe, Australia or other territories will need some kind of Visa to be able to live and work across the pond — for example, the current London Royal Ravens Roster, or New York Subliners’ French pickup Paco ‘HyDra’ Rusiewiez. Whether Visa issues are a legitimate concern for Skrapz, or he’s just looking at potential worst case scenarios, is unclear. That said, it’s looking good for Skrapz going into next season — though there’s no word yet on whether Wuskin will be joining him on the main stage.

Skrapz reveals plans for Black Ops Cold War if he can’t play in CDL – Dexerto
Skrapz reveals plans for Black Ops Cold War if he can’t play in CDL Call of Duty League / London Royal RavensFormer London Royal Ravens star Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall has explained his plans for the 2021 Call of Duty League season if he doesn’t manage to find a team. The inaugural year of the Call of Duty League saw the London Royal Ravens, with strong performances from the Marshall twins, Skrapz and Wuskin, making it to the semi-finals in the most prestigious event of the year, the CDL Championship. Despite not picking up a Home Series win during the season, Skrapz has still been one of the top Call of Duty pros in recent years but he surprised his fans after revealing that he might not get a team for Black Ops Cold War. Following Treyarch’s announcement of Black Ops Cold War, CDL rosters have been confirmed to shrink to four starting players a team, and the change will see many pro players miss out on a spot next year. Skrapz reveals plans for 2021 Call of Duty League season While much of the roster action is expected to be finalized in the coming days, with contracts expiring on September 13, Skrapz admitted that there is a chance he might not get picked up for the 2021 season. The Call of Duty star has now revealed what he might do if he doesn’t find a squad, sharing that he could be spending his time streaming instead. My email is matthewgod97@outlook.com (put it wrong in my tweet a few days ago) if we don’t get something sorted it’s all good. Will probs take the year off and stream 👍 https://t.co/9bKImzLoov — skrapz (@skrapzg) September 11, 2020 “If we don’t get something sorted it’s all good,” he explained, tweeting out about his potential options, “will [probably] take the year off and stream.” While most players would opt to compete in the challenger circuit, CDL fans might not see Skrapz compete at all during the Black Ops Cold War season. Skrapz has had success streaming Warzone in recent months and, with the battle royale confirmed to be sticking around in the next Black Ops title, it could be the perfect avenue for the CoD pro. Although many fans would love to see Skrapz competing on the main stage in 2021, it is still unclear just how these CDL rosters will pan out ahead of Black Ops Cold War’s release.

Skrapz reportedly tried leaving Paris Legion ahead of CDL Stage 5 – Dexerto
Skrapz reportedly tried leaving Paris Legion ahead of CDL Stage 5 Call of Duty LeagueWith Stage 5 of the Call of Duty League Season underway the Paris Legion are making headlines for the first time in a while but it’s not for the team’s performance. Rumors say that Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall wanted to leave the Legion before Stage 5. At the time of writing, the Paris Legion sit in tenth place in the CDL with 90 points and would need an absolute miracle to get a top-eight seed and qualify for the CDL Championship. Skrapz is one of two players to have played the entire season with Paris. He’s been arguably the star of the team, as coach Theory anticipated at the start of the season. Stage 5 seems like little more than a formality for the teams at the bottom of the CDL standings, Paris included — but Skrapz allegedly didn’t even want to play it out. Skrapz tried to leave Paris Legion? According to Chris ‘Parasite’ Duarte, who was appearing on ZooMaa’s ‘The Flank’ CDL podcast, Skrapz wanted out before Stage 5 officially kicked off at the New York Home Series. Parasite said that Skrapz was “dead serious on not playing.” This comment was in context to not playing Stage 5 with the Legion and sitting out the remainder of the CDL season. Parasite also said that the Challengers format played a role in the decision for the Legion. Parasite said that a player could play with a CDL team for Major V and still try to qualify for Challenger Champs but if the player participated in group play for Stage 5 then they would not be able to play in Challenger Champs’ qualifier. This made it difficult to find a player for Stage 5. Skrapz apparently tried leaving Paris Legion before the start of Stage 5 😳pic.twitter.com/kUGw1qqToX — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 16, 2021 In another clip ZooMaa said that Skrapz apparently quit for a day before returning back to the Legion camp the next day to play out the remainder of the season. Reports from CDLIntel on Twitter say that the Legion looked into signing Hamza ‘Hamza’ Shaikh for Stage 5 when Skrapz left the team. Strange 24 hours for @ParisLegion, Skrapz allegedly quit and Theory was apparently scrimming in place of him.. Skrapz is back now though.https://t.co/MnrPmajK6T @TheFlank pic.twitter.com/Tam7jIf8Vp — CDL Intel (@intelCDL) July 15, 2021 Paris only have a handful of matches left until the end of the season and, while the circumstances under which he wanted to leave the team aren’t clear, it looks as though he’ll at least play out the rest of Stage 5. This definitely makes the 2022 season look slightly more bleak for both Skrapz and the Paris team, and it has caused the community to debate whether or not he will stay with them for another season.

Skrapz misses start of match vs FaZe at CDL Florida after bizarre mix-up – Dexerto
Skrapz misses start of match vs FaZe at CDL Florida after bizarre mix-up CDLControversy struck bright and early in day two of the Call of Duty League’s Florida Home Series, as the CDL decided to count the result of the London Royal Ravens’ match against Atlanta FaZe despite it having started without Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall being present. Every day two match at a CDL tournament is always important; teams are either playing for a spot in the semifinals or to survive elimination. It was the latter for both Royal Raven and FaZe, who met in the first match of the day on May 9 to decide which of them will be the first to stamp their ticket to the playoff bracket. Right before their match started, however, a glance at the player cameras revealed that Skrapz was not at his station, and he didn’t make it back in time before the first map loaded up. Related – The Upset That Created One of CoD’s Greatest Dynasties: As the Hackney Yard Hardpoint kicked off, the London players quickly began appealing for a restart by killing each other in spawn, and it appeared that Atlanta were also ready for that eventuality, with even the casters sounding like they were on board. “I’m assuming there’s going to be a match restart here,” Miles Ross said. “We’ll wait for an official word here friends.” Read More: CDL Florida Day 1 recap & highlights – But that official word turned out to be ‘play on,’ and by the time that the Royal Ravens realized they weren’t being granted another chance at the map, their feeble attempt at a comeback fell well short, as the game ended 250-104 in FaZe’s favor. Almost instantly after the result came through, Skrapz went on Twitter to explain what happened, revealing that it was all the result of a bizarre mixup with the CDL admins. “League is an absolute joke, got told broadcast will be between five and 10 minutes,” he wrote. “You’re only allowed the black Mountain Dew water bottle on stream, and me being the good person I am, I emptied my water and filled up that bottle.” Read More: NAMELESS on why OpTic should pick up Loony – “Ref asked are we ready to go, I didn’t reply. Whole team asked him 15 times when it started to restart because I wasn’t there: ‘no you got to play.’ Was trying to help out ‘us’ the ‘CDL’ by only advertising what they asked us to use.” Facing a powerhouse team like Atlanta FaZe is already hard enough, but after going down 1-0 in such a manner, the odds were simply too much for London to overcome. They did make a series of it, however, tying things up with a convincing 6-1 win on Arklov Peak Search & Destroy. But Atlanta flexed their respawn prowess with wins on Hackney Yard Domination (155-145) and Gun Runner Hardpoint (250-130) to seal the series victory. The official Royal Ravens Twitter account also got in on the action during the match, making their feelings about the decision known with a cheeky tweet. We turn up HUGE in Map 1 with a 6-1 win on Arklov Peak S&D. We tie the series 1-1. #LRRWIN | #CDL2020 pic.twitter.com/w3qBkCoTN3 — Carolina Royal Ravens (@RoyalRavens) May 9, 2020 You can watch these matches live and keep up with all of the Call of Duty action via our CDL Florida hub, which includes streams, updated scores, brackets, and more.

Skrapz explains how Call of Duty changed his life – Dexerto
Skrapz explains how Call of Duty changed his life Ahead of the Call of Duty League event in London in February, we spoke with Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall to find out about his career and how Call of Duty “flipped his life around.” Skrapz has never been one to shy away from telling his truth and explaining how much Call of Duty, the community and the esport means to him, and this rang true as he described his humble beginnings in Manchester, England. Skrapz explains that he started playing Call of Duty with his brother, Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall, when they were nine years old, frequently occupying their Dad’s PlayStation at any available opportunity, and it escalated when they finally got their own PlayStation each to stop fighting over the shared console. He goes on to explain how he attended his first local LAN tournament during the Black Ops 3 season and, just months later, was competing at the World Championship event in Los Angeles, an event he describes as “realizing it could become a thing” for him. Just three years later, the esport has grown drastically and Skrapz found himself in a position with his brother and breakout star of Black Ops 4 Dylan ‘Dylan’ Henderson as sought-after players with plenty of options – and found themselves representing the UK on the biggest stage with the London Royal Ravens. Finally, Skrapz talks about the real impact CoD has had on him. “My life’s that good, I don’t think it will ever sink in. I remember having nothing. I can do whatever I want. I get up every day and play a video game and get paid for it. It never will settle in, until I retire. It’s the greatest feeling in the world.”

Skrapz explains why his only bad blood is with Rated after joining FaZe – Dexerto
Skrapz explains why his only bad blood is with Rated after joining FaZe Call of Duty roster appeared to surface at the end of March, when Skrapz and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris announced their restricted free-agency from the team – indicating that they were moving on. In that fallout, plenty of words were exchanged between members of the roster, with the most heated and notable appearing on Twitter, as well as Twitch streams between Skrapz and Rated. Now, the current FaZe Clan member has broken down the long story of just how the team broke apart, and how he moved on following a messy falling out with Rated. Red Reserve’s break-up Skrapz talked about the Welshman talking trash about Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris in a pro players group chat, following the cross-divisional portion of Pro League play, and also how neither Skrapz or Zer0 were fans of what he had posted. He said: “Rhys is in there talking about Trei. Trei didn’t like it, said he wasn’t playing with him. I basically lost composure and said I wasn’t playing.” However, Skrapz admitted to being at fault for part of what happened by not being straight with Rated about the fallout. He added: “To be fair, where I went wrong was not telling him I didn’t want to play with him – on my behalf, that’s my fault. I could have handled it better, a hundred percent. He doesn’t help the situation, you know what he’s like on social media. “I haven’t got any bad blood with any of them apart from Rhys. He doesn’t like me, I don’t like him – it is what it is.” Skrapz heads to FaZe Skrapz also dove into his move away from Red Reserve, explaining how it almost didn’t materialize, despite him having a strong belief that he would be joining FaZe. According to Skrapz, while there was a “70/30 chance” that he was moving to the hugely popular organization, there was also the possibility that Red Reserve were going to sell their spot to “a little org in Sweden” but he put his foot down and had the belief that FaZe were going to make the move happen. Will Skrapz and Rated meet at CWL London? The two players may have gone their separate ways, but it’s clear that they still harbor ill feelings towards each other. They won’t have the chance to get to grips with each other at CWL London until the bracket portion of play, though, and even then the stars will have to align in order for the pair to do battle on the main stage.

Skrapz and Crowder gobsmacked by Envy’s decision with Huke – Dexerto
Skrapz and Crowder gobsmacked by Envy’s decision with Huke L: Skrapz/Twitter. R:MLG.FaZe Clan’s Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall and 100 Thieves coach James ‘Crowder’ Crowder expressed their shock after Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland joined Splyce for ‘free’ from Team Envy. The final rostermania period of the Black Ops 4 season concluded on June 20, with teams locking-in their line-ups ahead of Call of Duty World Championships. A few late surprises came in the window, but there was none bigger than Huke’s move to Splyce. The former Team Envy star joined up with the perennial challengers on loan and sparked the CoD world into a huge debate – fans and professionals alike. Alongside James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, Skrapz and Crowder had been recapping the sweeping changes on the June 20 edition of the Crowder Hours podcast. After recapping the other set of moves, the foursome quickly shifted onto the Team Envy changes and Huke’s departure. “I don’t understand this one,” started the 100 Thieves coach as the podcast changed course to Huke’s move. “How the fuck did Cuyler get on Splyce for free?” It didn’t take long for him to get a reply as Skrapz too questioned the thought process behind it. He jokingly added: “I need to know who’s smoking the good stuff over there bro. I need some of that!” He wasn’t finished there though, as he ramped things up a little further. “Who the fuck would let him go on loan?” The new FaZe Clan player also took issue with the fact that Envy didn’t get similar value in return from Splyce, adding that he was “speechless” because of it. On the flip side, Splyce will clearly be hoping to flip their bargain move into the push they need to reach the summit of CoD esports. So far in the Black Ops 4 season, the North American-European mix squad has come close to claiming victory at a number of events, but have ultimately fallen short. They will have plenty of time to gel through online practice and the remained of the Pro League as they won’t be in LAN action until the competition’s finals in Miami. Teams will converge on Florida in less than a months time, as the playoffs kick off on July 19 to July 21.

Skrapz calls out Slacked over Luminosity’s controversial win vs FaZe at CWL London – Dexerto
Skrapz calls out Slacked over Luminosity’s controversial win vs FaZe at CWL London FaZe Clan’s Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall was livid after his team crashed out of CWL London due to a bizarre glitch, and was far from pleased with Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry’s post-match social media posts. What happened during the FaZe and LG match? FaZe finally returned to the Call of Duty pro scene after purchasing Red Reserve’s spot, and made an impressive start to pool play, but soon fell into the losers bracket where they matched up against Luminosity Gaming. During the final round of Control, FaZe were able to capture the A point to seemingly hand them the win, only for LG to bizarrely emerge victorious after Slacked was able to wipe out the opposing team and the decision was upheld after the footage was reviewed. Former Red Reserve player, Skrapz, took to Twitter to vent his frustrations, stating that he’d “been robbed” describing the events that unfolded as “shambolic”. Slacked had come under fire for seemingly taunting FaZe Zero after the result and tweeted that his actions had been misunderstood – but Skrapz wasn’t at all interested in his claims, stating that he was defending the decision behind the scenes. You was in the back arguing that use should get the W for that map, nice try & Ricky  — FaZe Skrapz (@skrapzg) May 4, 2019 Evil Geniuses’ sub Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson was quick to leap to the defence of Slacked but Skrapz continued to condone the actions of the LG member. The FaZe pro responded bluntly: “Don’t come in the back gassing about you deserve the win for that map.” Don’t come in the back gassing about you deserve the win for that map after you’ve just been dusted out of church point got capped and gameover :clinking_glasses: — FaZe Skrapz (@skrapzg) May 4, 2019 There has still been no official comment on the bug that saw FaZe crash out of their first tournament since returning to the pro league, but the footage could prompt an update to the Control playlist for future events. The admins at the London event decided the easiest and fairest approach was to simply go by the result which the game itself determined – an LG round win, but Treyarch will be aware of the controversy caused. Now for Skrapz and his new teammates, the focus must turn to perfecting their game ahead of CWL Anaheim, which takes place on June 14-16.

Skrapz breaks into tears after brother Wuskin clutches up at CoD Champs – Dexerto
Skrapz breaks into tears after brother Wuskin clutches up at CoD Champs Robert Paul – TwitterFaZe Clan professional Call of Duty player Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall had a very emotional reaction to his brother Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall advancing at the CWL Championship 2019. There’s no doubting the fact that it must be a very difficult time right now for Skrapz, whose FaZe Clan team were brutally eliminated from CWL Champs via a reverse sweep by 100 Thieves in the first round of bracket play. However, instead of allowing himself to drown in those sorrows, he decided to invest all of that emotion in cheering on for his brother wuskin and Team Reciprocity, who are still very much alive in the $2 million tournament. And the emotion came bursting out when Reciprocity completed a stunning comeback from 0-2 down to beat Luminosity on August 17, advancing to the semifinals of the Winners Bracket. What made everything that much more wholesome was that wuskin immediately came down to the viewing area after the match to hug his brother, and he was wearing one of Skrapz’s old team jerseys, a show of support after the previous day’s difficult loss. Skrapz addresses rumors that entire Royal Ravens CDL roster was dropped – Dexerto
Skrapz addresses rumors that entire Royal Ravens CDL roster was dropped London Royal Ravens[jwplayer EM7ByTrZ] There are rumors swirling that the London Royal Ravens are dropping their entire roster from the 2020 Call of Duty League’s season, but star man Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall has since responded to the speculation. With the 2020 CDL season now officially in the books, the freight train that is Rostermania has begun churning its wheels for what many expect to be a news-filled offseason period. The league’s decision to shift the competitive format back to 4v4 for 2021 means that at least 12 players (one from each team) will lose their starting job. The first casualty of this change was James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, who hit free agency after the Dallas Empire shockingly made him the odd man out of their championship-winning squad. Now, it appears that the entire Royal Ravens roster – the same one that led them to a surprising fourth-place finish at Champs – could suffer the same fate. On September 1, Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall was overheard talking to Skrapz on stream, and after wuskin held the phone close to his microphone for his viewers to hear, his twin brother said, “We’re free agents on the 13th.” Not many of his audience bought it at first, thinking that the veteran was joking around, but wuskin stated again that he’s “not trolling” and that he had a call earlier in the day confirming the situation. However, when these clips began going viral on social media, Skrapz stepped in to address all the speculation and clarified that what his brother had said isn’t as dire as it sounds. According to the former FaZe Clan pro, the reason why he and his teammates are technically becoming free agents is that they’ll be given an opportunity to negotiate new contracts ahead of next season. He followed that up by also directly denying that wuskin had been “fully dropped.” According to the league’s rules regarding this offseason, any player who doesn’t get extended by September 6 automatically gets their contract terminated and becomes a free agent. That’s not to say, of course, that those players will have to leave. Instead, they can simply negotiate and sign a new deal with that team, maybe for more years, money, or both – and this appears to be what’s happening with the Royal Ravens, at least according to Skrapz’s tweets. Read More: CDL post-Champs 2020 Power Rankings – It certainly makes sense, as well; it would be hard to imagine that the London franchise would want to get rid of the squad that got them to the final four in the Championship Weekend, especially since they’re all from the UK. All that said though, the roster won’t be completely devoid of casualties: Veteran pro Jordan ‘Jurd’ Crowley announced on September 1 that he’s an unrestricted free agent for the 2021 season, meaning he’s been fully let go by the organization. Jurd started the season as a starter for the team but was benched to make room for Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris, who was acquired midseason from the New York Subliners. However, at the time of publication, it would appear that Crowley is the only player at the moment who’s actually leaving the team. That will change, of course, because Royal Ravens will have to decide who from their starting five they’ll be demoting ahead of the switch to 4v4.

Sker Ritual is delivering on what CoD Zombies can’t – Dexerto
Sker Ritual is delivering on what CoD Zombies can’t SteamFor CoD fans who are fed up with the lack of attention being paid to the Zombies mode over the past few entries, Sker looks to be just the game to help. Despite the positive reception at launch, MW Zombies continues to receive very little new content and has left its fans disappointed, frustrated, and looking for something to fill that void. However, a new game called Sker Ritual is looking to be the CoD zombies replacement that these jaded fans need, as it takes the original formula of the mode and brings it to life in an updated, modern way. The game is a wave-based, cooperative shooter that pits players against hordes of zombies as they look to upgrade their weapons, complete objectives, and try to get as far as they can. According to the trailer, there is a variety of enemies that will come after the players, ranging from standard zombies to bigger monsters, which can be assumed to appear as people progress. The entire experience looks to be very similar to how CoD Zombies was when it first appeared in games like World at War and the first Black Ops. Now, a lot of what made MW Zombies so popular was how it took the original mechanics and evolved them in meaningful ways, but even if Sker Ritual looks to be resetting some of these gameplay changes, it’s still a new game that will certainly have new content. It certainly seems like the CoD Zombies players are enjoying the game, as one prospective player said: “Big props to you guys for doing round-based better than recent CoD Zombies games.” Even better, a free demo is available for the game on all platforms for anyone who may be on the fence about giving it a shot.

Skadoodle proves he can’t be trusted with grenades and helicopters on Blackout – Dexerto
Skadoodle proves he can’t be trusted with grenades and helicopters on Blackout Former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro player Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham won’t be getting a lift in a helicopter on Blackout any time soon, after the streamer made a hilarious mistake with a grenade. The American was teaming up with Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek and Jeremy ‘anythING’ Davis when the trio decided to jump into a helicopter and fly around while they decided on what their next move would be. Not long after they lifted off the ground and soared into the sky, an enemy helicopter appeared on the horizon, rapidly advancing on the Skadoodle and his squad. The two helicopters quickly found themselves close to each other, and a battle commenced, as each team tried to take the enemy helicopter out of the sky. Seeing an an opportunity to do some real damage, Skadoodle pulled a grenade out of his backpack, eyed up the opposing helicopter and threw it, hoping that the damage would be enough to blow it to pieces. Unfortunately for Latham and the rest of his squad, the grenade never made it to the enemy chopper. Instead, it seemed to get stuck in their own helicopter, blowing it to smithereens and killing all three members of the squad. “I threw it straight this time,” pleaded Skadoodle, “I threw it away from the chopper!” Shroud wasn’t buying it, saying: “Tyler, you said that last time, you said that would never happen again,” confirming that this isn’t the first time that Latham has been involved in this kind of incident. Perhaps Grzesiek should be a little more understanding of mistakes involving helicopters though, as he somehow managed to glitch himself under the map while trying to catch a supply drop with a chopper.

Skadoodle demands Treyarch give him specialist reward after his game crashes at worst possible moment – Dexerto
Skadoodle demands Treyarch give him specialist reward after his game crashes at worst possible moment As Black Ops 4 players race to unlock the newly release specialist skins in Blackout, retired CS:GO pro Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham narrowly missed out on unlocking one after a poorly-timed game crash. Unlocking specialists in Blackout is no easy feat as players are tasked with completing a series of tough challenges during matches to do so. Seraph is one of the toughest to unlock, requiring players to shoot targets in the Firing Range POI on the map, use a special gun to eliminate other players, and then finish in the Top 5 (in Duos at least). Despite the steep requirements, Skadoodle was zooming right through, having picked up the weapon and going on a spree in Firing Range to advance through the challenge list. Everything was looking good for Skadoodle to finish the lengthy challenge when he was hit with the most poorly-timed game crash ever (well, this crash was also pretty brutal). “My game crashed,” Skadoodle says before trying to laugh off the tragedy. “Yes, man. That’s exactly what I wanted!” As Skadoodle and his teammates get ready for the next game, he issues a demand to Treyarch, saying “Treyarch, give me the character right now. Listen, between me and you.” The worst part of all is that even if Skadoodle had died at that point in the game, he would have unlocked the specialist since he was already in the Top 5. But because his game crashed, he didn’t receive his rewards. Read More: Black Ops 4 game settings update for October 31 – Black Market updates and PC improvements – This is one story that has a happy ending, though, since Skadoodle ended up unlocking the skin later on in his stream, making up for this terribly timed game crash.

Six-month-old baby’s insane Warzone snipe goes viral on TikTok – Dexerto
Six-month-old baby’s insane Warzone snipe goes viral on TikTok TikTok/the_dent1stNo one likes being on the receiving end of a snipe in Warzone, but how do you imagine they would feel if they knew they died to a six-month-old baby who could barely hold a controller? Warzone has become one of the most popular battle royales of all time, and while Fortnite may be better suited to most six-month-olds, one showed there may be a COD prodigy in the making. Streamer and content creator THE_DENT1ST posted a TikTok video of a child in a makeshift high chair with a headset on his head and a controller in his hands playing some Warzone. While the idea of such a young kid playing Warzone is already quite amusing, the kill is what made the video so incredible. As he jumped off a building, the kid unleashed a crossbow shot that traveled across the map resulting in a far off frag that earned the praise of THE_DENT1ST. “My baby just hit that!” he cried in glee, rushing towards the kid. “Good job, Sam.” It’s not clear how exactly the child did so well or if it was just luck. Perhaps high chairs provide superior ergonomic advantages than state-of-the-art gaming chairs for some unknown reason. Or maybe his father was really the one behind the play. Whatever the case, the clip spread. This 6-month old is absolutely cracked 🔥🔥🔥 (Via @THE_DENT1ST) pic.twitter.com/Uao62lol5m — Barstool Gametime (@StoolGametime) August 18, 2021 Since being uploaded in August, the video has been liked over 20,000 times and reemerged recently when Barstool Sports tweeted the clip, mentioning that the kid was six months old. “Faze Clan, when you signing him?” THE_DENT1ST asked, tagging the esports organization. Who knows what the future holds for the kid, but if he can keep it up, we might see him compete in the 2040 CDL season. Mark your calendars now, folks!

Six classic Treyarch maps that need to be remastered in Black Ops 6 – Dexerto
Six classic Treyarch maps that need to be remastered in Black Ops 6 ActivisionTreyarch have developed some of the greatest maps in Call of Duty history, with the Black Ops series being home to all kinds of incredible memories over the years. While Black Ops 6 promises 16 new original maps, there are some classics that should be remastered too to give players that taste of nostalgia they love. There will be no shocked faces when the likes of Nuketown, Raid, Standoff, or Firing Range get announced to arrive in Black Ops 6, as these maps regularly get added back into Black Ops games, but there have been some gems that haven’t been remastered that deserve to be. Be it classics from the original Black Ops game or even some underrated picks from the likes of BO3 or BO4, here are six maps that need to be remastered in Black Ops 6. Meltdown (Black Ops 2) Meltdown is perhaps one of the most underrated Call of Duty maps of all time, perhaps because it was on Black Ops 2, surrounded by some of the best maps in both CoD and FPS history as a whole. It was hard for Meltdown to shine alongside Raid, Standoff, Slums, and so many others, but it would definitely stand out more these days. That is unless Treyarch manages to pull off some seriously impressive work for Black Ops 6’s originals. Fringe (Black Ops 3) Black Ops 3 is often regarded as the greatest jetpack game COD has had, and Fringe was arguably the best map that game had to offer. It had a clear, defined, 3-lane system, but with enough nuance to thrive and feel different every time you played it. Engagements took place in a well-crafted, compact area, which allowed for fast-flowing, fun gameplay. There would likely have to be some tweaks. For example, at the back of the barn and down train side, to better accommodate a boots-on-the-ground game, with the map originally designed with advanced movement in mind. Even so, Fringe’s inclusion as a remastered map would be great for fans who miss those jetpack maps. Hacienda (Black Ops 4) Black Ops 4 is often overlooked by COD fans and, for many, represents somewhat of a lull in the franchise. It came between the divisive jetpack years and the huge explosion that was MW2019 and Warzone, so it often gets overlooked when fans talk about their favorite games. However, Hacienda was one of the best maps in Black Ops 4 and was great for pretty much any mode. With gameplay focused around the sides of the centre courtyard area, it’s easy to cross the map, take interesting routes, and get good positions over your opponents. Launch (Black Ops 1) Throwing it all the way back to 2010, Black Ops 1 is where the best Call of Duty series started and gave us some classics, including maps like Nuketown and Firing Range. Picking an entry to be remasted wasn’t easy, but Launch is an underrated option that deserves to make its return. This map was never short of fun moments, it was easy to run streaks on and offered great fun in public matches. It catered to pretty much every playstyle, so anyone and everyone could have a good time. Cargo (Black Ops 2) This article could easily be filled with six plus Black Ops 2 maps, but in the interest of keeping things varied, the one we would like to see brought in alongside Meltdown is Cargo. The fights that took place in and around the center of the map were addictive, and if you worked the edges of Cargo properly, you could win just about every match and rack up some serious killstreaks along the way. Plus, it would be very interesting to see maps like Cargo with the new omnimovement system, with the map’s high-ground providing the perfect testing zone for enhanced movement. Evac (Black Ops 3) Evac is another Black Ops 3 map that deserves to be remasted, though admittedly one that would require some tweaking to better fit a boots-on-the-ground game. However, Evac could really do the job for a game like Black Ops 6, with it being a great map of its time. While the map excelled with modes like Uplink, which was incredibly fun, much of it is rooted to the ground and flows nicely without jetpacks, so modes like Hardpoint and Domination would still be great fun here. Obviously, this list isn’t extensive by any stretch. Other iconic Treyarch maps such as Hanoi, Plaza, Carrier, Arsenal, Breach, and more all carry special memories for long-time COD players and Black Ops fans. That said, these six offer decent variety and are all great for different game modes and playstyles, meaning they could appease the biggest section of the player base possible without leaving many disappointed.

Simple Warzone trick perfectly counters ‘invisible’ Roze skin players – Dexerto
Simple Warzone trick perfectly counters ‘invisible’ Roze skin players ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have got a simple tip that adds a little bit of flair to the Roze skin users and prevents them from hiding in the shadows. Ever since Warzone launched in March 2020, players have complained about certain things within the battle royale being “pay to win.” These items are available via the battle pass or in-game store with CoD Points. The biggest headache, though, has been the blacked-out Roze skin that lets players hide amongst the shadows, making them somewhat invisible. Players have called upon the developers to make a change, either to the skin or the lighting of the battle royale, so this is no longer the case. However, others have taken things into their own hands and found a way to add color to enemy Roze skins before the game gets underway. The idea comes from Reddit user TheMazilla, who notes that if you can spray paint a player using the Roze skin in the Warzone pre-game lobby, the paint will stick around once the game actually gets underway. Read More: Best Warzone landing spots on Verdansk – Now, it’s not a case of just hitting them with your favorite spray and then they’ll be colorful, the player cannot die once you’ve done it. So, you need to spray them, hope they stay alive, and then they’ll be covered in paint. It’s a simple trick, but it might be a little tricky to pull off, given how hard some players go in the pre-game lobby. But, if you can do it in those final few seconds where fighting stops, the Roze sweats should get a surprise. Find a Roze skin in the pre-game warmup – Spray them with a colorful spray – Make sure they don’t die after being sprayed – They should now be colorful in-game – Other players noted that it’s something they do regularly as well, so it’s not just a case of it working for one person. You will have to make sure that your bullet impacts and sprays setting in enabled in the graphics too, so that you can see your handiwork in-game.

Simple Warzone trick perfectly counters Big Bertha truck drivers – Dexerto
Simple Warzone trick perfectly counters Big Bertha truck drivers ActivisionA Warzone player has shared a simple and effective counter to vehicle users in Call of Duty’s battle royale, giving the drivers a ticket to the Gulag. Vehicles in Warzone were, at first, pretty annoying for many players. The ability to run enemies over and instantly eliminate them was not particularly popular – especially in ‘Big Bertha’: armored trucks that are considerably more difficult to destroy, even with an RPG. However, adjustments have come and gone and many now realize vehicles have as many downsides as they do positives. Players in vehicles, for example, are visible to every other player on the map. They are also considerably easier to destroy than they were in previous seasons of Warzone. One player – u/Wicksy1994 – shared the clip to Reddit, describing it as “a simple lesson in how to outplay braindead truck users in Solos”. It’s fair to say it was exactly that, leaving the enemy likely red-faced but certainly in the Gulag. Read More: 10 most popular weapons in Warzone – The player attracts the attention of the driver by laying down some FFAR shots. The damage they were doing was negligible, but it succeeded in manipulating the enemy to drive right at them. Next up, a bouncing betty was thrown down before the player retreated, threw an Ammunition Box down and resupplied, before retreating again. As the enemy drove straight towards them, the bouncing betty exploded, along with the munitions box, completely destroying the truck and swiftly eliminating its driver. It’s a seriously easy way to eliminate a less-than-brilliant enemy using a vehicle. This is a particularly good trick for enemies in ‘big bertha’ trucks as they are much slower and easier to hop out of the way of at late notice. There may be adjustments made to vehicles in Season 3 when it drops, but this is a good trick to use in the meantime. As for Season 3, leaks suggest the Skorpion SMG, CZ75 pistol, and FAL tactical rifle could be on their way to Warzone and BOCW. Barring any changes, Season 3 is set to release on or around April 21.

Simple Warzone trick makes Claymores even more infuriating – and lethal – Dexerto
Simple Warzone trick makes Claymores even more infuriating – and lethal ActivisionA simple Warzone trick has caught the attention of players in Caldera, allowing them to combine two sets of equipment and form a devastating explosive device. With so much content in one place, Warzone players are still trying to figure out all the nuances and tricks that come with a plethora of weapons, equipment and scorestreaks. Players have noticed, for example, that the game’s Deployable Cover can be used as a perfect roadblock to stop enemy vehicles in their tracks. This particular trick, surfacing on Reddit on April 16, is perhaps less subtle than using a Deployable Cover but, if done right, can have seriously impressive results and take out multiple enemies at once. Player ‘Xtoxiczombie’ noticed that you are able to combine Claymores with Warzone’s Flammable Canister, making an explosive and fiery combination that can be treated as a de facto projectile. Attached to the post was a clip of the equipment being combined. While Claymores are lethal on their own, the combination with Flammable Canisters means they are treated by the game as projectiles, and can be thrown at enemies. The result, as shown in the user’s post, was an explosive and flammable combo that swiftly eliminated an unknowing enemy. One Redditor joked about how infuriating dying to the combo would be, saying: “I would probably be this close to uninstalling if I saw the killcam.” It’s probably not the most widely usable trick in the game but, if the equipment finds its way into your arsenal, it is certainly an idea that could get you out of a tight spot. Claymores have long been frustrating to play against but, with them now technically throwable, we’re sure it’ll incense players even more.

Simple Warzone trick lets you avoid freezing at Buy Stations – Dexerto
Simple Warzone trick lets you avoid freezing at Buy Stations ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are trying to find ways to overcome the game’s bugs and crashes. Fortunately, one streamer has figured out a surprisingly simple way to avoid the infamous Buy Station freezes. The Warzone experience has been subject to a recurring nightmare for months upon months. It always plays out similarly, too: a player tries to activate a Buy Station and their entire game freezes. By the time the game is done putting the player on time out, they’ve either been an easy kill for an enemy or simply lost some time and momentum. The Buy Station freeze was already a notorious issue back in August 2021. Then, it returned with full force in December. While Warzone’s latest updates have tried addressing the game’s bugs and glitches in recent patches, the Buy Station remains a problem. With console players particularly vexed, others have found an innovative solution: stop sliding. Warzone streamer explains how to avoid Buy Station freeze PSA: don’t slide into loadouts or buystations, it’ll crash or freeze your game. On PC & console. — Nick “ProReborn” (@ProRebornYT) January 17, 2022 As ProReborn, a CoD streamer and Warzone tournament competitor, explains – there is a rather simple, albeit surprising way to fix the Buy Station freeze. In a January 17 tweet, the gamer revealed his PSA: “Don’t slide into loadouts or buystations, it’ll crash or freeze your game. On PC & console.” In response to ProReborn, someone agreed with this fix – giving it a “vouch” after experimenting with it themself. Other replies across Twitter corroborate this experience, with one in particular saying that not sliding “sometimes” fixes the problem. Overall, it’s hard to be certain that this fix will work for players 100% of the time. Still, it’s very easy to do and therefore worth trying in case it even slightly lowers the likelihood of the freeze occurring. For the time being, this is the closest we have to a workaround for the frustrating bug. Raven Software currently have the Buy Station freeze on their Trello board, marked as “investigating,” so hopefully there’s a real fix sooner than later.

Simple Warzone trick lets players level up guns fast with quad weapon XP – Dexerto
Simple Warzone trick lets players level up guns fast with quad weapon XP ActivisionWarzone players are constantly grinding out the game trying to figure out the most efficient way to level up weapons. Thanks to a newly discovered trick, players are have found a way to get quad weapon XP and fly through gun levels. When it comes to creating the perfect loadout in Warzone you need to have the right attachments for the gun. Some of the weapon’s best attachments come in the later levels, meaning you have to grind out for a little while to unlock some of the better features. Although it can be tedious to farm kills for weapon XP, players have discovered a new way that will let you earn quadruple the amount and makes things so much faster. Warzone players discover trick to get quad weapon XP Most weapons in Warzone have over 50 levels that you need to earn experience for in order to unlock every attachment. This Reddit post by ‘HEL-Alfa’ informs players that there is an easier way to earn weapon XP while grinding out levels. All you need is a double weapon XP token and you are set to go. Here are the steps in order to receive quad weapon XP: Wait for Warzone Double Weapon XP to be active. – Activate a Double Weapon XP token. – Play any Warzone game mode and earn four times the weapon XP. – Double Weapon XP Weekend is now live through 10AM PT Monday! Let’s do this. pic.twitter.com/DZKWdn1hQS — Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) September 24, 2021 In case you’re wondering how it’s quad XP, this is how it works. If you complete a contract during double weapon XP you’ll get 1,000 experience, double that again and you get 2,000 which is four times the base of 500 XP. The downside is waiting for a double weapon XP weekend for Warzone specifically as this will not work in Black Ops Cold War. However, this can be extremely useful in Plunder and other respawn game modes in Warzone. If players are looking for double weapon XP tokens then they can head over to Prime Gaming to claim free rewards or level up their battle pass.

Simple Warzone healing trick is key to dominating Operation Monarch lobbies – Dexerto
Simple Warzone healing trick is key to dominating Operation Monarch lobbies ActivisionWarzone’s Operation Monarch has brought a few changes to the standard battle royale experience, but this simple healing trick might be the mode’s most impactful change overall. Operation Monarch is the most chaotic Warzone event since the game launched in March 2020. Stuffed to the brim with new gameplay experiences, the cinematic crossover brings the fury of King Kong and the power of Godzilla to the land of Caldera, allowing players to get a taste of power they’ve never seen before. While the two giants are certainly the most powerful things on the map, they also give players a big boost that has flown under the radar so far throughout the event. Operation Monarch’s regeneration mechanic is a game-changer All you need to do to regain health in Operation Monarch is to land a few shots on either of the Titans. Doing so will completely replenish your health and shields, and leaves a ton of room to outplay your opponents, just like in the clip embedded below. Anytime you’re in a pinch and don’t have time to plate up, just turn to the sky and look for one of the movie monsters. Fueling up this way makes it much easier to face down full squads and catch them unaware. Using this technique combined with the new SCREAM Device means that even when you’re on your own, there is still hope in every single engagement on the map. It’s also worth noting that picking up Monarch Intel off of dead bodies also replenishes you, so stay mobile and let the bodies of your fallen foes keep you safe.

Simple Warzone glitch lets you get your hands on M1 Garand and STG44 early – Dexerto
Simple Warzone glitch lets you get your hands on M1 Garand and STG44 early ActivisionWarzone’s Season 6 update has given players a look at Vanguard’s M1 Garand and STG44, so here’s how you can use both WW2 guns early. Both the STG 44 and M1 Garand have been added to Warzone ahead of the official Vanguard weapon integration, giving players a sneak peek at the various weapon attachments. While it was recently discovered that Vanguard weapons will be able to utilize 10 attachments, a number of players have been able to unlock the STG44 and M1 Garand early. Whether this early release was intentional or not remains to be seen, but this unlock method enables players to get an early feel for how Vanguard’s weapons will function. If you’re looking to use the STG 44 and M1 Garand in Warzone or just wish to see how they handle ahead of their official release, then this method will enable you to do just that. How to unlock the STG 44 and M1 Garand in Warzone In order to unlock the STG 44 and M1 Garand in Warzone early, you’ll need to follow the steps outlined by Eriv below. Load up Warzone and join any game mode that has the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade. – Locate the nearest Weapon Drop Field Upgrade – Interact with the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade and claim your weapon. – If you don’t get the STG 44 or M1 Garand, then eliminate yourself and head back over to the Weapon Drop location and interact with it again. – Using this method above, you’ll eventually be able to get your hands on both the STG 44 and M1 Garand in Warzone. Simple Warzone Gas Mask tactic is literally “pay to win” – Dexerto
Simple Warzone Gas Mask tactic is literally “pay to win” ActivisionWarzone players have found an easy yet effective tactic to take the win in Verdansk, and it might be the most annoying way you could lose to somebody. Catching wins in Warzone is no easy task, with up to 149 other players vying for the title in Call of Duty’s latest battle royale effort. While often a match will end with a tense fight in a building, with RPG’s, C4 and M4 assault rifles in abundance, this gas mask tactic proved that you can actually win while hidden in plain sight, and takes the meaning of “pay to win” to a new level. Warzone introduced a bunch of new features to the battle royale genre, with one of the most unique being the buy station, where players can purchase killstreaks, armor plates, teammate re-deployment and, most importantly in this case, a Gas Mask. The Gas Mask is used to protect players from the incoming gas for a limited time while it closes in around Verdansk. While players typically use them to get out of the gas and not succumb to it, Reddit user schmayward shared his innovative tactic for using the buy station and Gas Masks to his advantage. After attempting to fight the remaining team, but realizing they’re likely to get the better of him, schmayward decided to stick it out behind a buy station, using his spare cash to buy a new Gas Mask every time his current one ran out. Pay To Win from r/CODWarzone Of course, a lot of variables have to come together for this to work out. Firstly, carrying that kind of money into the final gunfight is easier said than done, as is effectively using your time to stay situated near a buy station. At $3000, the Gas Mask isn’t cheap, so you really do need a lot of cash to really make use of this tactic. You’ll also need to hope there is a buy station in somewhat close proximity to the final few circles, or else the time you need to survive will be too long, even with lots of cash to spare. It relies a lot on the final circle working perfectly in your favor, but if the opportunity is there, it’s definitely a trick you could take advantage of, especially as your opponents won’t be expecting it. So if you’re ever in a late-game dilemma, you might have just found the best play to make.

Simple Warzone bundle change is just the overhaul blueprint weapons need – Dexerto
Simple Warzone bundle change is just the overhaul blueprint weapons need ActivisionWarzone players have floated simple changes to the game’s bundles, which would instantly improve weapon blueprints in the Call of Duty battle royale. Despite Warzone having a pretty exhaustive and enticing store, the game has remained blissfully free of pay-to-win mechanics or weapons. Everything players can purchase with real world money is cosmetic only, meaning it may look awesome but, if you generally suck at Warzone, you’ll just look cool while sucking. Some of the most aesthetically unique weapons in Warzone are blueprints – pre-built versions of weapons that are often difficult to acquire. However, fans have found a drawback with the rare weapons. Because they come equipped with all attachments, their unique aesthetics only remain if players stick with the pre-built loadout. Any attachment changes will change the gun’s aesthetics – much to users’ displeasure. Whilst Activision could change to blueprints to be un-customizable, this would almost certainly be disliked by the community. A more obvious solution, as floated by Redditor fantafanta_, would be to simply adjust blueprints so their design is not affected by attachment changes. “Activision would heavily increase their sales if they did one simple thing with the bundles,” they said. “Make it where changing the attachments on a blueprint does not change its look. This instantly makes blueprints way more valuable and appealing to everyone. The new STG blueprint looks amazing but it’s pointless to buy when you completely ruin the look just by changing a few attachments.” Other suggestions, which would negate any confusion caused by weapon aesthetics not changing, were to simply add the capacity for new attachments to match the blueprint in question’s aesthetics. Such a change would surely be within Raven’s reach, and would enable customization while retaining blueprint’s unique style. Only time will tell if such a change is possible but the balance of opinion on Reddit suggested many fans want to see it implemented.

Simple Warzone 2 trick lets you glitch into Black Site for crazy money & streaks – Dexerto
Simple Warzone 2 trick lets you glitch into Black Site for crazy money & streaks ActivisionWarzone 2 players have discovered an insane glitch that actually lets you break into Black Sites without a Key, giving you all the rewards without having to make any effort. Black Sites are a new addition to Warzone 2, adding an extra layer of gameplay for players looking for more than just constantly hunting kills throughout Al Mazrah. After picking up a Black Site Key from a Stronghold, players can find the Black Site locations and get in with the key, granting them access to a ton of money and equipment to use for the remainder of the match. However, this usually requires a decent amount of effort, as players have to fight against others to break into the Stronghold, then traverse the map to get into a Black Site. That need not be an issue any longer, though, with this glitch, that will surely be patched out by developers Infinity Ward before long. Access Warzone 2 Black Site without key As shown by Warzone pro Kacey ‘WarsZ’ Channer in the clip below, it’s very simple to do. Just follow these steps: Locate a Black Site anywhere in Al Mazrah. – Take a road vehicle there (not a boat, helicopter or the “OP” meta Heavy Chopper). – Stand in front of one of the Black Site doors that are locked. – Have a teammate drive into you and ‘force’ you into the Black Site. – Loot up everything possible for you and your squad. – When done, just return to the same spot and you can jump back into the vehicle through the door. – As mentioned above, it’s unlikely that this glitch will be a permanent fixture in the game, and devs will definitely look to get this fixed sooner rather than later. As with any glitch like this, you’re doing so at your own risk, and can only blame yourself if things go wrong, such as if you get stuck in the Black Site.

Simple Warzone 2 trick lets you fly further & faster – Dexerto
Simple Warzone 2 trick lets you fly further & faster ActivisionGetting the most out of Warzone 2’s limited movement is imperative and this trick allows players to fly way farther and faster when using their parachute. It’s well-known that Warzone 2’s movement is simplified in comparison to the slide-cancel fest that was the original game. While WZ2 has several unique movement tricks to help make up that difference, knowing how to get the most out of the parachute is hugely important for maxing out an Operator’s pace. The ‘Dive Chute’ mechanic can be an absolute life-saver and it’s unbelievably simple to add to the arsenal. Warzone 2’s Dive Chute mechanic lets players fly further & faster The mechanic combines the action of dolphin diving with pulling your parachute, which are two very simple inputs to chain together. The chute pull needs to happen as early as possible for maximum effect. The dive will not only extend the length of a player’s flight but also help them pull the parachute out faster by skipping the beginning of the animation. Of course, this can only be done when jumping from heights where pulling a parachute is possible. However, as long as that benchmark is cleared it can be used in a ton of situations. It can also be chained together with a bunny hop or two as demonstrated by the Call of Duty League’s LA Guerrillas in the video below. As they explain, this can be even easier when enabling the “Inverted Slide Behavior” setting in Warzone 2’s gameplay option. Doing so will prioritize diving over sliding, meaning a simple tap of the crouch button will send an operator soaring forward even faster than before. This might not seem like a huge difference on the surface, but seeing as parachuting away from danger is one of the primary uses for flight in Warzone 2, it can be a game-changer for anyone who wants to speed up their gameplay.

Simple Warzone 2 attachment change takes the Fennec 45 to new heights – Dexerto
Simple Warzone 2 attachment change takes the Fennec 45 to new heights Activision, YouTube:RalliedThe Fennec 45 is an incredible SMG that currently sets the meta standard for close-range encounters in Warzone 2 but, according to one expert, it can perform even better with one simple attachment change. Warzone 2’s meta for long and medium-range battles is dominated by LMGs and various rifles like the RPK and TAQ-56. But the Fennec 45 remains the champion of close-quarters combat ever since the BR sequel went live. Only time will tell if that dominance holds over into Season Two of Warzone 2, and if the Fennec continues to perform to the same level on the new Ashika Island environment. But for now, you can expect to gun down opponents in a flash if they challenge you up close with this SMG. This has led to an arms race between Fennec users to find the most optimal attachments possible to outgun other Fennecs and SMGs. Content creator Rallied has shared his suggestion on how to make your Fennec faster and deadlier than ever before, and it’s all thanks to the EXF Solarflare laser attachment and the Xten RR-40 muzzle. “Final Boss” Fennec build for Warzone 2 In his February 5 YouTube video, the content creator revealed all the attachments that are part of this “#1 recoil control & damage” loadout for the Fennec. “If you throw on that EXF Solarflare you get almost a 30% boost in the sprint to fire which is actually massive,” said Rallied when comparing the Solarflare laser to the VLK laser, which is another extremely popular pick for the Fennec. “It actually makes a dramatic difference in my opinion, and you will win more close-quarters gun fights. And of course, the XTEN [muzzle] actually does give you a significant damage range multiplier. And also muzzle velocity, which gives this gun way, way more range.” The full customization is as follows: Muzzle: XTEN RR-40 – Laser: EXF Solarflare – Magazine: Fennec Mag 45 – Rear Grip: Fennec Rubber Grip – Stock: Agile Assault-7 Stock – Ideally, players interested in charging into Al Mazrah with this build should back up their Fennec primary with an assault rifle or a sniper rifle, such as the Victus XMR. This will ensure they have appropriate tools to deal with threats at extreme and long distances, as Fennec should be able to cover the close and medium ranges, especially with these two attachments which increase its effective range.

Simple Precision Airstrike trick makes for easy kills in Warzone 2 – Dexerto
Simple Precision Airstrike trick makes for easy kills in Warzone 2 ActivisionWarzone 2’s Precision Airstrike killstreak is one of the most versatile tools in the game and this tip will help players get the most value from each use. High ground is the name of the game in Warzone 2. If a player is stuck on the bottom floor or a building, under an overpass, or hoping to cross an open field and protect themselves while doing so, the Precision Airstrike is an invaluable tool to help them create some space or to make an enemy team reposition. While they’re quite spammable in Season 1, the upcoming change to backpacks in Season 2 means that won’t be the case for long and crafty players will need to know how to get their money’s worth every time they call one in. Warzone 2 Precision Airstrike tip sets up easy kills As shown by YouTuber Savage_2C, precision really is a part of the strategy when calling in this helpful streak. Instead of blindly sending it in a random direction at the opposition, players should take their time and maneuver into the exact direction they want the rolling guns to fire. The player in the video demonstrates this by waiting until the circle collapses, creating the smallest area possible for the enemies to be in. When they’re ready, they turn to face the bridge and send the airstrike in from directly overhead. This angle maximizes the streak by leaving the target squad practically no room to work with when trying to escape. Their only real hope is to jump off the bridge and into some awaiting gunfire. This can also be used to flush enemies out of hiding if there are multiple squads on high ground but with no angle to actually shoot each other. Pinpointing the flight path will undoubtedly open up easier lanes to push or tactically reposition behind.

Simple Modern Warfare 2 trick is perfect counter for Riot Shields – Dexerto
Simple Modern Warfare 2 trick is perfect counter for Riot Shields ActivisionCoD veterans are all too familiar with how annoying it is when confronted by a Riot Shield user, but fortunately, a Modern Warfare 2 player discovered a perfect counter. Modern Warfare 2’s meta is beginning to take shape. Players have had ample time to test out every weapon and grind camos. Warzone 2 launches on November 19, and TrueGameData revealed the best guns to level up ahead of time. Make sure to also check out our guide on the best Modern Warfare 2 loadouts before jumping into Warzone 2. The Riot Shield is the one weapon that stands the test of time and is immune to any buffs or nerfs. Riot Shields are extremely easy to use and create massive headaches for the CoD community. If you ever find yourself one-on-one with someone using the overpowered weapon, there is an easy counter. How to use Inflatable Decoys against Riot Shields Riot Shields already left a sour taste in the mouths of MW2 players. If players equipped the item and the enemy earned a VTOL killstreak, they became invincible. A Reddit user shared a way for players to get revenge on Riot Shield users, and all you need is an Inflatable Decoy. Inflatable Decoys are a new Field Upgrade in Modern Warfare 2. When activated, a fake soldier appears, making it look like there is a real player. If you deploy an Inflatable Decoy right under the feet of a Riot Shield user, it will kill them. The clever MW2 player shared a clip of using the Field Upgrade against someone using a Riot Shield. One player responded, “That’s the best kill I’ve ever seen.” A second user added, “This isn’t getting as much appreciation as it should, solid way to kill someone and a solid way to die.” The next time you find yourself in a tight bind, try using an Inflatable Decoy as a last-ditch effort.

Simple Modern Warfare 2 movement trick breaks game with unlimited Tactical Sprint – Dexerto
Simple Modern Warfare 2 movement trick breaks game with unlimited Tactical Sprint ActivisionTactical Sprint is designed to run out after a brief stretch in Call of Duty. However a new game-changing movement trick is giving players unlimited stamina in the Modern Warfare 2 Beta. When it comes to moving from one point to another in Call of Duty, Tactical Sprint is the quickest method on-foot. Crouching, walking, and regular sprinting are all slower than this more intense option. As a result, Tactical Sprint comes with a limited window. For just a few short seconds can you enjoy this faster run. The only way in which to influence its duration is by manually selecting the Double Time Perk to, you guessed it, double its length. That comes with the obvious sacrifice of another crucial Base Perk. While that’s how most CoD titles have functioned in recent years, things have now changed in Modern Warfare 2. Without the need for Double Time, players have uncovered a game-breaking movement trick in the Beta to provide infinite Tactical Sprint with relative ease. As exemplified by Atlanta FaZe head coach Crowder, just a simple bunny hop is all that’s needed to reset your Tactical Sprint. By repeating this quick and easy jump trick, you can sprint at full speed for as long as you like. Typically it takes a few seconds for Tactical Sprint to come off cooldown after its use. Through this seamless movement though, you can bypass the delay altogether and continue blitzing through the map. Not only is this helpful getting out of spawn and back into the fight quicker than ever, but it can also help out-position your enemies. In the blink of an eye you can bounce around opposing targets, quite literally sprinting circles around them. For the time being, Infinity Ward is yet to address the movement tech in the second week of the Modern Warfare 2 Beta. While developers have been quick to implement certain changes, other community feedback has been left ignored. It’s unclear where this particular issue may fall. We could see the bunny hop trick altered when the full game arrives on October 28, or it could still be in effect for a while yet. Furthermore, given both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 share engines, this exploit might even work in the upcoming Battle Royale sequel. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Simple Modern Warfare 2 glitch lets you use weapon blueprints without buying them – Dexerto
Simple Modern Warfare 2 glitch lets you use weapon blueprints without buying them ActivisionModern Warfare 2 players have discovered a glitch that allows them to use any store blueprint in Ranked Play, regardless of whether they’ve actually paid for the bundle or not. In recent years, weapon blueprints have become huge in Call of Duty multiplayer and Warzone, with unique designs and attachments to make you stand out on the battlefield. These have been bolstered by collaborations with the likes of Scream, Rambo, Die Hard, and, with Season 2 Reloaded, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The issue most players have with these blueprints, however, is the fact that they are often trapped behind a paywall, especially the best ones. While you might be willing to spend a little bit of money for a particular bundle you’re really fond of, most players don’t want to keep loading up their account with CoD points to buy every one. Fortunately for those players though, it’s possible to use a bunch of blueprints that you haven’t paid for in Ranked Play, and it doesn’t even require any crazy glitch to take advantage of. Use Modern Warfare 2 blueprints for free Here’s what you have to do: Head into Ranked Play from the Modern Warfare 2 menu. – Go to the loadout you want to get a new blueprint for, such as a TAQ-56 class as in the example below. – Click on the TAQ. – Click on ‘Store’. – Go to the blueprint you want to use. – Press L2 to select it. – Now, it should be on your gun and ready to go. – As you can tell, there are only certain blueprints available, and you don’t have full access to the Store’s inventory, but it still gives you a few more options to make use of and show off in Ranked Play. Once you’ve done this, you can change the attachments to make the best TAQ-56 class while retaining the special skin. It’s hard to imagine Infinity Ward leaving this in the game, so it may well get patched out before long, so make sure to make use of it while you still can.

Simple ISO Hemlock loadout change makes it even better in Warzone 2 – Dexerto
Simple ISO Hemlock loadout change makes it even better in Warzone 2 ActivisionIf you’re looking to make your ISO Hemlock loadout better than ever in Warzone 2 then you need to make one simple switch to your attachments. Over the last few weeks, the meta in Warzone 2 has undergone a fair few changes, most notably because of the Season 3 Reloaded weapon buffs and nerfs, as well as the introduction of Maximum Armor Damage values. As a result of those sweeping changes, the ISO Hemlock – which had been knocked down a few pegs by previous updates – has risen back to the top of the meta. It is, comfortably, the go-to assault rifle in the battle royal, even if snipers are challenging its number one spot overall. Given the Hemlock has been dominant for a while, the loadouts can get a bit stale. Everyone has settled into a meta and rarely wants to change. Though, you might want to switch things up – at least the optic anyway. ISO Hemlock is even better in Warzone 2 without Aim OP-V4 optic That’s according to Warzone 2 guru Sally is a Dog, who made a video on the AR, noting that the Aim OP-V4 optic probably shouldn’t be the dominant scope. Instead, the YouTuber switched to the Cronen Mini Pro sight and had a fair bit of joy. While he didn’t win the game he was testing the change in, he was positive about it being a long-term switch rather than just an experiment. “I kind of liked it. I liked it more than the Aim OP-V4,” he said. “It gives you just enough zoom to see things without having to squint at two pixels on your screen.” The sight has been tested by a couple of YouTubers previously, including FaZe Booya, but they’ve all fallen back in line with the meta at some point. It’s not the only optic that the Warzone 2 guru has been using recently, however, also switching over to using the SZ Recharge-DX on occasion. So, it’s worth trying one of them to see if you can go without the Aim OP-V4 moving forward.

Simple change to Domination in Modern Warfare could fix major issue – Dexerto
Simple change to Domination in Modern Warfare could fix major issue This slight tweak to the Call of Duty League ruleset in Modern Warfare would keep fans and players involved in the action to the very end during Domination matches. With Domination making its way back into the rotation of game modes on the competitive ruleset, plenty of long-time fans of the franchise have expressed their concern over whether it’ll stay the course throughout the Call of Duty League season. Both S&D and Hardpoint are firmly embedded in Call of Duty esports, and with the addition of a freeze timer to Hardpoint’s ruleset (e.g., the clock pauses while a Hardpoint is occupied), both game modes can now run right down to the wire. However, with Domination back in the rotation, one fan has probed the issue which Hardpoint faced during its debut year on the competitive circuit — endgame boredom. For those who remember, the phrase “mathematical impossibility” still resonates with spectators. Essentially, before a freeze timer was integrated, teams could often make winning a match a mathematical impossibility by leading by more points than there was seconds remaining in the game. While this was few and far between, it rendered the final moments of a match pointless and prevented some of the sensational comebacks which are synonymous with recent years of Call of Duty. Nonetheless, the Reddit user has not only raised the question, but has also provided a simple solution to the problem. Posted to the CoDCompetitive subreddit, the user has suggested a similar mechanism that plays on the timer: “If the losing team has a three cap when the clock hits 0, the game doesn’t end unless the winning team recaptures a flag or the losing team bypasses the winning team in points. This would make it to where you could never count a team out, no matter how far they are down.” While the suggestion would provide a losing team with hope and would eliminate any prospective spectator boredom, it would be extremely difficult for a team to hold all three flags in Domination (especially on larger maps) — and would therefore be seldom executed in practice. By that logic, one user responded by simply proposing that Capture The Flag replaced Domination on the competitive ruleset altogether. However, the popular game mode is yet to make an appearance in Modern Warfare to-date. At the root of any big esport is entertainment value. There’s no doubt that there have been some nail-biting moments in Call of Duty history. From the plethora of round 11 (do or die situations) in Search & Destroy, to teams clinching Hardpoint comebacks by one point, there are a host of iconic moments that resonate with CoD fans far and wide. Given the introduction of a franchised infrastructure, there will be more interest than ever before in competitive Call of Duty this year. As such, there are added pressures to ensure Call of Duty can hold its own among the heavyweights of esports in terms of its entertainment value. Perhaps this change to Domination, if it were to be implemented, could prevent any matches turning stale at any point.

Simple Call of Duty: Warzone change would make looting much easier – Dexerto
Simple Call of Duty: Warzone change would make looting much easier ActivisionOne Call of Duty: Warzone player has found the perfect answer to solve the difficulty players are having with looting on Verdansk. Activision and Infinity Ward’s Warzone has already been hailed as one of the best battle royales in the genre by many, with Dr Disrespect himself complimenting the gameplay for being “silky smooth.” It is for this reason that over 15 million players have attempted extraction on Verdansk in just three days after the game’s launch. However, as impressed as the ‘Two-Time’ and his fellow creators are with IW’s Warzone, the community still has a keen eye for improvement. And one savvy player has made the perfect modification to Warzone’s weapon system, which would ultimately enhance a player’s ability to loot. Essentially, ‘FadezGaming’ suggests that the weapon glow around each weapon should reflect the rarity of the firearm. So a Legendary weapon variation would glow orange, which would be visible from a distance. There are six tiers of weapons in Warzone, all of which reflect the number of attachments each respective gun has. Uncommon weapons come with one attachment, whereas Legendary firearms have five attachments. Currently, each gun radiates a white glow (regardless of rarity) and it’s only when you are up close that a tab will appear — showing exactly what the weapon rarity is. Per the Redditor’s suggestion, squads would be able to scope out loot and better judge whether it is worthwhile making a risky push for (i.e. if they can justify it based on the weapon’s rarity status). While on the surface this would only be a minor tweak, it would have huge implications on how teams play mid to endgame scenarios. Moreover, it would add an extra tactical layer, as squads may decide to use highly sought after weapon blueprints as bait in a bid to lure in an enemy squad and place a well-timed killstreak on their location.

Simp tempers FaZe expectations ahead of CDL Stage 3: “We got the group of death” – Dexerto
Simp tempers FaZe expectations ahead of CDL Stage 3: “We got the group of death” Call of Duty LeagueDays before Stage 3 gets underway in the 2021 Call of Duty League season, Atlanta star Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr has outlined why Group B is the “group of death,” and why FaZe fans should temper their expectations. With new groups now locked in for the third stage of the year, we know which teams will be facing off over the next three weeks. While Atlanta FaZe topped their first two groups this season – with a 5-0 and 4-1 record respectively – Stage 3 could be the toughest yet. Five other teams are lined up to face them and Simp argues they form the “group of death” this time around. From OpTic looking to rebound after their heartbreaking Stage 2 defeat, to an upsurging Seattle roster, there won’t be an easy matchup for FaZe in Stage 3. In comparison to Group A, Simp argues his side of the equation is far more stacked. With “basically four of the top five teams” in the same group, Atlanta could be in store for its toughest challenge yet, according to Simp. Full schedule for all three weeks of #CDL2021 Stage 3! The big OpTic vs FaZe rematch will be on Sunday, May 9. pic.twitter.com/vcPl3g4cs2 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 16, 2021 GROUP B From the teams listed above, four of them boast positive records heading into Stage 3. Only Seattle and London are coming through with negative records, though both could be set to turn things around in a big way. While they closed out Stage 2 with just two victories under their belts, it was a notable improvement over their first showing. “Seattle has been looking a lot better from the first to second Stage,” Simp explained. If their upward trend is to continue, “who’s to say they won’t be really good in the third?” Meanwhile, London “is trying” to break the mold with new roster changes at the last minute. With hot Challengers prospect Alex ‘Zaptius’ Bonilla replacing Thomas ‘Dylan’ Henderson, we could see a stronger Royal Ravens than before. When it comes to the Thieves, they may have finally found their footing at the tail end of Stage 2, “looking really good” in Simp’s eyes. On the back of benching SlasheR, the Thieves went on to 3-0 both Paris and New York in the Major. Despite praising his competition and recognizing the challenge, Simp assured that he’s not all too concerned. “I’m not worried,” he said. “They are league matches after all.” Stage 3 is all set to kick off on Thursday, April 22. Faze will be taking on the Subliners in their first match since the Stage 2 finals. Keep on top of all the action with our overview of the London Home Series.

Simp, SlasheR & other CoD pros call for custom gun camos in CDL matches – Dexerto
Simp, SlasheR & other CoD pros call for custom gun camos in CDL matches CoD Tracker / CDLCustom gun camos are unavailable to players in Call of Duty League matches, but OpTic Gaming Los Angeles’ Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat, Atlanta FaZe’s Chris “Simp” Lehr and other pros have appealed for that to change. Weapon skins have an illustrious history in Call of Duty, existing in the game as rewards for in-game achievements since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare back in 2007. And, while they have typically been eligible for use in professional contests, that has not been the case in the CDL’s inaugural season. With popular CoD content creator Davis “Hitch” Edwards championing for their return to professional play on Twitter—the league’s pros have jumped on board and clamored for a chance to express themselves with colorful weaponry once again. “Is there a reason why everyone’s guns have to be so boring,” Hitch inquired on Twitter, tagging a bunch of CDL & Infinity Ward personnel. “I just want to know the reasoning behind the players not being allowed to customize their weapons and I don’t know who to ask.” It’s not entirely clear why the CDL disallows weapon skins, but there are a few different explanations and theories. The simplest explanation is that, since the league’s players use different accounts than their personal ones, they don’t have their usual unlocks. @Maven @JoeDeLuca @JoeCecot @MilesTheRoss @ChanceCasts @Benson_EU @Momo is there a reason why everyone’s guns have to be so boring? i just want to know the reasoning behind the players not being allowed to customize their weapons and i don’t know who to ask — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) June 13, 2020 Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, chimed in with a response, explaining that weapon blueprints are restricted from the CDL ruleset, and regular camos can’t be accessed on the accounts that players use for official matches. i feel like unblocking the blueprints in the CDL rule set and giving the CDL players access to all of the blueprints and camos on their tournament accounts would give a nice personality to the players and increase entertainment value. would also help sell blueprints (cont) — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) June 13, 2020 But this seems easily remedied by unlocking everything on CDL accounts. There is a second theory though, as raised by caster Joe “MerK” Deluca, that players might not want to use camos anyway because of visibility concerns. This has been immediately debunked by Slasher, Simp and various other pros. What id love to rock a camo I always have I legit don’t have the option to lol IW 2020 👍 — SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) June 13, 2020 After Hitch expanded in a couple of different Tweets that CDL accounts should have access to every single skin, a variety of other pros joined in agreement, including OpTic Gaming’s Martin “Chino” Chino, the Toronto Ultra’s Danny “Loony” Loza, and aforementioned Simp. Loony and SlasheR have apparently been the most vocal proponents of having such customization enabled, each citing that they’ve made the request before but without much luck. And Chino was not shy at all about his stance, dictating a succinct, caps-locked “PLEASE.” Simp called it “a pretty good idea,” and having the league’s frontrunner for MVP express such an opinion should be enough to convince people that this isn’t a fluke concept or one likely to be the subject of pros’ GA (Gentleman Agreement) removals. It appears that this is a movement a lot of pros are willing to back, and why wouldn’t they? Just as Hitch argued in his initial tweet, there seems to be no good reason for why this feature wouldn’t be enabled in the game’s official esports scene. There has been no word from the CDL on how they feel about the topic, but players’ GA’s were recently publicized on the official broadcast and, to some extent, added to the league ruleset (with the Merc Foregrip being disallowed in pro play). This suggests that high-profile players are being listened to and that this request for weapon skins could soon elicit an official response too.

Simp reveals ‘overpowered’ Krig 6 loadout in Black Ops Cold War – Dexerto
Simp reveals ‘overpowered’ Krig 6 loadout in Black Ops Cold War Activision / Instagram: simpchris_Looking for the most powerful Assault Rifle class in Black Ops Cold War? Call of Duty League pro Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr has unveiled his go-to Krig 6 setup for any and all competitive events. A meta has now emerged in Black Ops Cold War as the best players in the world have been practicing for a few weeks. While multiple weapons are completely viable at the top of the scene, ARs have been quite dominant early on. With some teams running 2-2 splits of ARs and SMGs, others have been going for the 3-1 structure instead. In the rare case, CDL teams have even pulled out four ARs on particular maps. If you’re looking for the absolute best setup possible, Simp has you covered. The 2019 world champion has made a name for himself with flashy plays and extraordinary aim. Here are some pointers from one of the best players in the world. Simp’s Krig 6 loadout in Black Ops Cold War Attachments Optic: Millstop Reflec – Muzzle: – – Barrel: 19.7 Ranger – Body: – – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: – – Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap – Stock: Raider Stock – Secondary – 1911 Perks Perk 1: Tactical Mask – Perk 2: Gung-Ho – Perk 3: Ninja – Equipment Lethal: Semtex – Tactical: Stun Grenade – Field Upgrade: Trophy System – Wildcard – Law Breaker First up, it’s important to understand the choice of weapon to begin with. While the AK47 might be the most common AR of the batch at the time of writing, Simp prefers his Krig instead. “Personally, I think it’s better at a long range,” he explained. “It has its ups and downs, but I think it’s a little better overall.” When it comes to setting up the class, you’ll first want to select your attachments for the beastly AR. Arguably the most important aspect to look out for is Bullet Velocity, according to the former champion. “I feel like Bullet Velocity plays a big part in killing faster in this game.” As a result, you’ll want to equip the 19.7 Ranger Barrel. The Airborne Elastic Wrap Handle is also “super important,” he revealed. Not only will it safeguard you from flinch, but it “lets you dropshot. Dropshotting gives you an advantage in certain gunfights, so it’s always important to have that accessible when you need it.” In terms of other variables, running with the Law Breaker Wildcard is crucial. You don’t necessarily need more perks, more attachments, or more equipment. But running with more powerful perks definitely comes in handy. Choosing this Wildcard lets you equip both Gung-Ho and Ninja at the same time. “If you’re going to play anything competitive-wise, I’d use this class,” he concluded. Future balance updates may change the viability of the Krig. But for the time being, it’s Simp’s go-to AR for every CDL-level tournament. Be sure to check it out for yourself if you’re truly looking to get the most out of your AR setups.

Simp reveals how Clayster started his pro Call of Duty career – Dexerto
Simp reveals how Clayster started his pro Call of Duty career MLG / ActivisionAtlanta FaZe star Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr explained how Call of Duty veteran James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks helped him during the early stages of his time competing and claimed that he “accelerated” his career as a pro player. After winning CoD Champs 2019 and receiving the MVP award with eUnited during his rookie year, Simp is still looked at as one of the most dangerous players to face in the Call of Duty League. The 19-year-old star is now competing under Atlanta FaZe with an explosive, star-studded roster and he and his team are one of the top contenders at the final tournament of the year, once again. Although he was not lacking in skills, Simp revealed that when he was still making a name for himself as an SnD player, one pro player, in particular, played a huge role in fast-tracking his career to the top. Lehr claimed that his former teammate and Call of Duty legend Clayster was a huge help as he was coming up, revealing that he had been ‘one of his first friends and a mentor,’ in his feature with ThePlayersTribune. “But somebody who helped in a different way was Clayster,” Simp explained. “He followed my amateur career and reached out to me a few times. He was always there if I had any questions or needed anything.” Simp first began turning heads during the Call of Duty: WWII season and explained that Clayster was one of the first to highlight his rise, “when he helped get me some attention in 2018 when he was with eUnited, it accelerated my career.” After a year under eUnited’s academy team or the “eUnited Cadets”, alongside other upcoming stars such as iLLeY and Cellium, Simp was promoted to the main roster before having an incredible run in 2019. “Like I always believed deep down I’d make it one day,” he later admitted, “but without Clay’s help I don’t think I’d have been part of the eUnited team in 2019.” Simp will be looking to go back-to-back at this year’s CDL Playoffs, however, his old teammate, Clayster, is also in the running, with the Dallas Empire on the opposite side of the bracket. You can check out their CDL Playoff schedule, along with the rest of the matches, at our CDL event hub here.

Simp reveals best Modern Warfare players ahead of CDL launch weekend – Dexerto
Simp reveals best Modern Warfare players ahead of CDL launch weekend Unsplash: Liam Arning / Astro GamingAtlanta FaZe Call of Duty star Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr has revealed who the best Modern Warfare pro is ahead of the opening weekend of the Call of Duty League in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Simp joined the FaZe Clan-affiliated CDL team after back-to-back event wins in Black Ops 4, including a World Championship, alongside Tyler ‘Abezy’ Pharris, Michael ‘MajorManiak’ Szymaniak, Preston ‘Priestahh’ Griener and Jovel ‘Cellium’ McArthur. Having been arguably the best Black Ops 4 player in the world, Simp has now made his opinion known on which player he believes is the best so far in Modern Warfare – and it’s not a name you might expect. In an appearance on Anthony ‘Nameless’ Wheeler’s CoDCast podcast, Simp and his hosts were talking about Cellium, with the 18-year-old singing his Atlanta teammate’s praises. This led to Nameless asking Simp who he believes the best player so far is in Modern Warfare, based off of the online play they’ve had so far. “I feel like it’s him [Cellium] or Abezy, but that’s so biased,” he said. “I definitely think Abezy is one of the best, he’s f**king nasty.” Nameless pressed Simp over which player he believes to be the best outside of his Atlanta teammates, but he struggled to come up with a concrete choice. Finally, when asked which players he finds most difficult to play against, he said Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal and Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro, Dallas Empire young guns who are yet to make their LAN debut on the professional Call of Duty circuit. These choices definitely line up with a lot of what people have been saying in regards to which teams are the best in the game, with Dallas and Atlanta being a near-synonymous top two. With these two teams facing off against each other in the CDL’s opening weekend in Minnesota, all eyes will be on Cellium, Abezy, Illey, Shotzzy and Simp himself to see who can help their team take the crown – for the time being, at least. It has been revealed that Atlanta FaZe recently went on a truly ridiculous run of wins in scrims, so they may be favorites heading into the opening weekend – but only time will tell.

Having just won the first CDL Major of the year, he’s part of the most successful Black Ops Cold War lineup thus far. A mere 24 hours out from his championship win and the 20-year-old superstar has revealed an SMG loadout he uses to shred through online lobbies. While it’s not a class he uses in professional matches, it’s his go-to for public matches. The LC10 is a new addition in the Season 2 Battle Pass of BOCW. While accuracy is still important, the LC10 is a solid pick “because of its fire rate,” according to Simp. Therefore, you’ll need the right attachments for the job. The 14.5 Ranger comes in handy to boost your lethality on the map. “Bullet velocity is one of the more important things to have higher on a gun,” he explained. “If you’re trying to kill people faster… that’s always my go-to.” Meanwhile, Simp chooses the Raider Stock in order to buff movement speed. It does come at the cost of some horizontal recoil, though the “pros heavily outweigh the cons,” Simp assured. With those attachments unlocked, you’ll be able to reach the full potential of the LC10. It’ll take a while to grind through the weapon levels, though it’s worth the effort as “the gun is just too good to not be using right now,” Simp added. As the seventh SMG in BOCW, the LC10 certainly stands out from the pack. Simp went on a tear throughout the video, racking up multiple killstreaks across Express. “Personally, it’s one of the more fun SMGs to use,” he said while wiping out enemies in the lobby. You could be well on your way to topping the scoreboards using this particular loadout. Be sure to check out some other options though, if you’re looking to build around a different playstyle.

Simp explains why he’s not “at the top” of Call of Duty yet – Dexerto
Simp explains why he’s not “at the top” of Call of Duty yet ActivisionAfter an astounding first full year in the pro-level competitive Call of Duty scene, reigning CWL World Champion, MVP, and Atlanta FaZe star Chris “Simp” Lehr doesn’t think he’s “at the top” yet and has no interest in slowing down. It’s hard to imagine a better rookie year than Simp’s 2019. But despite finding success in all there is to accomplish in a single season, the 19-year-old doesn’t consider himself in the top echelon just yet, and doesn’t want to either. Philip ‘Momo’ Whitfield’s recent Twitter post detailed all of the FaZe star’s amazing accomplishments with eUnited, which the Call of Duty League caster said was more than what most hope to achieve in an entire career. He implored Lehr to “sit back and give yourself a pat on the back.” https://twitter.com/Momo/status/1232843831457898498 While Simp acknowledged the great things he’s done already, he believes that he hasn’t done more than players like Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, and “doesn’t want to think [he’s] at the top.” I mean yea I’ve done great things but until I’ve done more than people like Scump,Crim,Formal,Clay Etc I don’t wanna think I’m at the top. — FaZe Simp (@SimpXO) February 27, 2020 In 2019, Simp seemingly swept every major event and accolade during his Black Ops 4 campaign with eUnited. That roster finished first in Group B of the CWL Pro League regular season and went on to win the playoffs at CWL Finals, followed by a convincing victory at Champs. Simp claimed MVP honors at both of those events, and also won Console Rookie of the Year at the Esports Awards. He was also nominated in the fan-voted Dexerto Awards for Esports Rookie of the Year and Call of Duty Player of the Year. In October of 2019, after his magnificent first year, he joined the Atlanta FaZe organization as part of a star-studded roster that’s considered to be the best in the league. It’s still early in the season, but the team is living up to expectations, going 2-0 at Launch Weekend and winning their Atlanta home series. Simp is certainly setting lofty goals for himself with the list of players he’s set sights on passing. The players he named are among the winningest of all-time, in terms of major tournaments and prize winnings. Aside from his insane abilities, however, the young star also has time on his side, as he’s five years younger than Scump, who’s the youngest of the group of four legends he mentioned. He was unable to face the iconic Huntsmen T2P duo of Scump and FormaL at CDL Atlanta, but he may get a shot at the duo of Crimsix and former teammate Clayster at the upcoming CDL Los Angeles home series. After the Huntsmen’s loss to Florida in Atlanta, FaZe remain the only unbeaten team in the League with a remarkable 6-0 record.

Simp explains why he thinks Subliners should’ve dropped Crimsix over Clayster – Dexerto
Simp explains why he thinks Subliners should’ve dropped Crimsix over Clayster Call of Duty LeagueAtlanta FaZe’s SMG star Simp has claimed that New York Subliners would have been better off if they removed Crimsix from the starting roster instead of Clayster. The Subliners failed to live up to their lofty expectations at the start of the 2022 Vanguard CDL season, with the duo of Crimsix and Clayster reunited once again and expected to do some serious damage alongside young guns Neptune and HyDra. Things didn’t quite pan out and a number of roster changes followed, with the most notable being the removal of Clayster from the starting lineup, keeping Crimsix as the veteran AR to help guide them to victory. While it was a slow burner, the Subliners throughout Major 4 qualifiers were a force to be reckoned with, and are aiming for a big showing at their LAN Major, needing a top 3 placement for a chance at qualifying for Champs. While Crimsix hasn’t statistically been a dominant force on the map, many fans argue that his experience and leadership are paramount to Subliners’ success — but Simp believes he wasn’t the right pick to help the team move forward. In a video uploaded to the Atlanta FaZe YouTube channel, teammate Arcitys asked who he thinks should’ve been dropped, and Simp explained honestly why he thought Crim should’ve been gone. “I’m a Clay kind of guy,” he said. “I’m one of the few out there who I think Clay is one of the goatiest. Respectfully, Crim is dog at this game. Clay was moving fast, he was moving fast with Neppy [Neptune], and now they’re not, so I think Clay should’ve stayed.” Timestamp 4:22 While he made the comments about Crim in jest, Simp may lean more heavily towards Clayster due to their time playing together, and the relationship they formed winning a world championship in Black Ops 4 after Clay brought him into the Pro League for the first time as an exciting, young rookie. Most will have Crimsix ahead of Clayster in the GOAT discussion, but for Simp, there’s no question over who should have stayed on the Subliners team.

Simp explains key issue OpTic Chicago exposed ahead of Atlanta FaZe Champs run – Dexerto
Simp explains key issue OpTic Chicago exposed ahead of Atlanta FaZe Champs run Call of Duty LeagueAtlanta FaZe’s CDL Stage 5 loss to OpTic Chicago came as a surprise to many, and now that we’re reaching the business end of the season, it’s possibly the worst time for FaZe to be showing gaps in their skillset. The Atlanta side have no doubt been the best side of the Call of Duty League era, and the 2021 season has seen them act as the final boss throughout. They’ve lost just five matches this season, rarely showing any signs of being incapable, and with the Stage 5 Major and Champs fast approaching, they’ll be hoping to go end the season with similar success. Following the side’s loss to close rivals OpTic Chicago, Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr explained how it exposed his team, and it’s something the top CDL competition will be keeping an eye on as the big money approaches. Talking through FaZe’s series’ against both OpTic and LA Thieves, Simp said there are a couple of problems for the team that need addressing, but one in particular. Read More: CDL 2021 Power Rankings – As well as suggesting a drop-off in Search & Destroy performance, Simp says it actually showed a real weakness in Hardpoint. “This match was a huge wake-up call for our Hardpoints, as if there wasn’t one already,” he explained. “I feel like now everyone understands that we’re not doing the stuff we’re supposed to and we need to just be working together.” They did actually win a Hardpoint against OpTic, taking the Apocalypse in fairly dominant fashion, but they were just returning the favor from a lackluster performance on Moscow. This is definitely something other top teams such as Dallas Empire and Toronto Ultra will be keeping close tabs on in the final events of the season, and if they can capitalize, Atlanta FaZe’s miracle season could end in disaster.

Simp argues Modern Warfare 2 will be a “good year” with some key changes – Dexerto
Simp argues Modern Warfare 2 will be a “good year” with some key changes YouTube: FaZe Simp / ActivisionTwo-time world champion Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr believes Modern Warfare 2 could bring about a “good year” for the Call of Duty League if Infinity Ward pays attention to a few key areas of feedback. With the Modern Warfare 2 Beta now in focus, popular streamers and professional players alike are all getting their hands on the next entry in the CoD series. While some have been quick to voice their concerns over certain features, others have heaped praise on new changes with Infinity Ward’s latest game. While we’re still a few months out from not only the game’s full release, but also the start of the 2023 CDL season, pros are already chiming in on how they envision the year ahead. Among them is two-time world champ and Atlanta FaZe star Simp. For his money, the Beta has been a “fun time overall,” but there’s still a “decent amount of work” to be done in certain areas to improve the competitive experience before launch. Jumping through everything from map design to movement systems, Simp was mostly positive after playing the first weekend of the Beta. In particular, he claimed the new Gunsmith “feels more balanced” compared to last year’s in Vanguard where guns had 10 attachments. With only half that allowed in Modern Warfare 2, not every weapon can be a laser. When it comes to the removal of silde canceling, a controversial move that quickly saw new workarounds discovered in just hours, Simp was a fan of how the new game played without them. “I like that slide canceling wasn’t a thing,” he continued. “The more cameras you break, the less competitive it is. You slide around a corner and kill someone before they even see you. That’s not competitive, that’s not fair. It should always be as even as possible.” Perhaps his biggest gripe with the early test build had to do with moment to moment gunfights. For starters, “headglitches are gonna be super important” in the upcoming CDL season if the flow of gameplay stays intact. Moreover, with current visuals, gunfights became increasingly more difficult with each round fired, according to Simp. “You would lose the person in the gunfight 80% of the time. I feel like I’d hit someone, get them one shot, then I couldn’t see them anymore.” That particular complaint is something Infinity Ward is already looking to address in the second week of the Beta. “We agree this is an issue,” devs outlined in a September 20 blog post. “We have changes incoming to reduce muzzle smoke opacity and to increase the visibility of the muzzle flash to help engage someone who is firing at you.” As a final note, Simp was unsure why aerial respawn cams were back in the game after the controversy they caused in Modern Warfare 2019. Originally, this brief flyover the map back down to your Operator could provide a split second of intel you otherwise wouldn’t be knowledgeable of. Now it’s back in Modern Warfare 2, so Simp is “hoping” there’s a setting to help “take it out of competitive” down the line. Ultimately though, without any major criticism, just a few smaller points of contention, the FaZe star is optimistic for the season ahead: “I think we’re gonna be in for a good year of competitive.”

Simp and Kenny butt heads as LA Thieves abuse ‘banned’ item in $30k CDL kickoff tournament – Dexerto
Simp and Kenny butt heads as LA Thieves abuse ‘banned’ item in $30k CDL kickoff tournament Call of Duty League/ActivisionThe $30k Call of Duty League Kickoff Classic was fans’ and players’ first chance to see competitive CoD: Vanguard. It ended in drama, though, as Atlanta FaZe’s Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr hounded LA Thieves’ Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan for ignoring Gentleman’s Agreements. Gentleman’s Agreements have come to be commonplace in Call of Duty esports. While there is a set of restricted weapons and items, such as shotguns or certain AI-controller killstreaks, there are some that vary by title each season based on what the pros want to ban. In Vanguard, there have been countless debates over the use of smoke grenades and sniper rifles in the competitive landscape. While it initially seemed as though snipers were out, in order to keep smoke grenades in, both of them were in play at the CDL Kickoff Classic. Some players were unhappy to see how the smoke grenades were being used, though — players can sit in the smoke and see through it to pick off opponents while remaining invisible within the smoke. Simp let LA Thieves and Drazah, who he accused of abusing the mechanic at the $30k Kickoff Classic, know exactly how he felt when they were knocked out of the tournament. Read More: CDL Kickoff Classic 2022 results – “Well deserved loss for doing this in a match,” he said, in response to a clip of Drazah using smoke grenades to gain a ‘one-way’ vision of his enemies. “This is the exact reason why smokes shouldn’t be in competitive right now.” Drazah’s teammate, Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Williams, leaped to his defense, saying that the ”same energy should be applied to snaking but we’re still not ready for that convo.” By this, he means the ‘snaking’ accusations that have followed FaZe’s Jovel ‘Cellium’ McArthur in recent years, with players bemoaning his use of unfair movement mechanics. Lmaoooo! Same energy should be applied to snaking but we’re still not ready for that convo🙂 — 🇵🇭OpTic Kenny (@Kuavo) January 24, 2022 Simp replied in kind, saying “It’s also pretty weird how snaking got patched and still sh*t on you and draz and everyone else in the league last year.” Kenny finished the conversation saying that “the fake villain thing doesn’t fit you,” clearly not able to reach a compromise with Simp. “Patched”, we’ll call it that. And that was when you weren’t doing this fake villain thing… it doesn’t fit you. — 🇵🇭OpTic Kenny (@Kuavo) January 24, 2022 There’s clearly space for a rivalry to grow between Atlanta FaZe and LA Thieves, two of the biggest franchises in the CDL, and there’s definitely no love lost between their two franchise players. Whether we see changes in the pros list of banned GAs off the back of this remains to be seen, but as it stands, there’s a serious case to be made for smoke grenades to not be allowed going forward.

Simp unveils new AK74u loadout he’s using to “fry” in Black Ops Cold War – Dexerto
Simp unveils new AK74u loadout he’s using to “fry” in Black Ops Cold War Call of Duty League / ActivisionThe AK74u is an entirely different beast following Black Ops Cold War’s Season 3 update and Atlanta FaZe’s Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr has the rundown on an ideal loadout to help you “fry” every match. Season 3 is now well underway and it’s safe to say the AK74u has only surged in popularity following recent buffs. It was already a solid SMG but thanks to the latest tweaks, it’s an absolute force to be reckoned with on any given map. If you’re looking to get the most out of the gun, Simp’s professional-tier loadout is just what you need. From the ideal attachments to the best perks, here’s everything you need to know. Simp’s AK74u loadout in Black Ops Cold War Attachments For this fast-firing SMG, your key focus should be on reducing recoil, according to Simp. After the latest buffs, movement speed is no longer an issue, meaning there’s no need to increase mobility with your attachments. As a result, going all out on positive enhancements without tradeoffs is vital. For starters, the Spetsnaz Compensator does just that. This Muzzle will keep you “shooting straight at a long range,” he said. Muzzle: Spetsnaz Compensator – Barrel: 9.3” Extended – Underbarrel: Foregrip – Handle: Gru Elastic Wrap – Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock – For the Underbarrel, you’ll want to go against the grain. While the final unlock in this category may seem appealing, you actually want to select the first option, according to Simp. “This is because it doesn’t have any negatives.” With Speedgrip now nerfed, “you may as well use Foregrip” to avoid any debuffs. When combined with Gru Elastic Wrap and the KGB Skeletal Stock, you’ll be “aiming faster” and pulling the SMG out faster “when you’re caught off guard.” These attachments round out the absolute best AK74u build possible in Season 3. Simp’s AK74u loadout: Perks & Equipment The rest of the loadout is relatively standard for competitive play in Black Ops Cold War. You’ve got the usual Tac Mask and Flak Jacket to avoid pesky Equipment. The Diamatti is on standby should you ever run out of ammo, while a Trophy System is there to help defend various objectives. Perk 1: Tactical Mask – Perk 2: Flak Jacket – Perk 3: Ninja – Secondary: Diamatti – Tactical: Flashbang – Lethal: Semtex – Tactical: Trophy System – It goes without saying that the latter is all but necessary to any good class, according to Simp. “This is a competitive class so Trophies are basically the only thing you can use,” he said. All of these additions should work perfectly in conjunction with the AK74u to give you as much versatility as possible. Simp’s loadout is optimal for Black Ops Cold War but if you lean more towards Warzone, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our rundown on the best AK74u setup for the Call of Duty Battle Royale so you can use this SMG across both games.

SiLLY Frustrated With Evil Geniuses Teammates After They Miss Out on CWL Pro League Playoffs – Dexerto
SiLLY Frustrated With Evil Geniuses Teammates After They Miss Out on CWL Pro League Playoffs As Evil Geniuses lost their game five against Team Envy in their final match of Stage Two at the CWL Pro League, their spot in the playoffs was wasted for the second time this season. Justin “SiLLY” Fargo, who joined the EG roster following the first time they missed out on playoffs back at Stage One, took to Twitter almost immediately after the match to vent frustration with his teammate(s). Evil Geniuses got off to a flying start following the roster change, recruiting SiLLY and Adam “Assault” Garcia in place of Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler and Ian “Enable” Wyatt, they took 2nd at CWL Seattle. But their good run of form was relatively short lived as they bombed out of CWL Anaheim on day two, finishing top 16. More: FaZe Clan Clinch Final Division A Spot in CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs as Evil Geniuses are Eliminated – But the team still had a 5-2 record in Division A of the Pro League as they returned to complete their matches, and surely couldn’t throw away their playoff spot this time around. But thanks to losses to Echo Fox, Red Reserve, FaZe Clan, Team Kaliber and finally Team Envy, somehow FaZe managed to snag the final playoff spot on the last day. And during EG’s final match, it was clear for all fans to see that something wasn’t right amongst the side, as they were extremely wasteful in Search and Destroy and generally seemed demotivated. Complete waste of time being here don’t go over vods, can’t execute strats, rush Strats in search and don’t even know where to go in hp. Ggs to everyone here, we don’t deserve to be at playoffs — EG Justin Fargo (@silly702) July 6, 2018 Just because some of us go over vods with our coach doesn’t mean all of us will — EG Justin Fargo (@silly702) July 6, 2018 SiLLY’s comments referred to the team’s coach Embry “Bevils” Bevil, who is known as a stellar SnD player but of course the team’s SnD was by far their worst mode. Fans quickly began to speculate which player or players on EG SiLLY was referring to, while some were critical of SiLLY’s decision to voice his anger publicly with the World Championship still upcoming. And SiLLY didn’t leave it at that, as he also took to Reddit to make some of his feelings clear. Surprisingly, SiLLY also hinted that his team may not have played at their full potential because of the following match where Team Kaliber (already qualified) faced FaZe Clan. SiLLY seems to suggest that Team Kaliber would not have been trying as hard in that final match where they didn’t need a win and the other team, FaZe did.

Shroud reveals powerful FN Scar 17 loadout he uses to dominate Warzone – Dexerto
Shroud reveals powerful FN Scar 17 loadout he uses to dominate Warzone Infinity Ward / Mixer: shroudMichael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has unveiled what he believes is one of the strongest possible weapon loadouts in Modern Warfare’s new Warzone battle royale — an attachment-filled FN Scar 17 class that “packs a huge punch.” What sets Warzone apart from other battle royale competitors is its Loadout Drops. Players can spend $6,000 to gain access to their own custom-built classes, complete with guns and gear, and powerful blinged-out weapons. Not every Call of Duty fan has been sold on the divisive feature, but shroud loves it. He even went as far as to dub the custom loadout picks his “favorite part of the game,” mainly due to the fact he’s “a sucker for theory-crafting.” Shroud has taken a particular interest in the FN Scar 17 as a weapon of choice in Warzone’s 150-player matches. It may not be among the mode’s top-tier guns, but its 350 damage per second makes it “awesome” nonetheless. There are a few things you can even add to the assault rifle to take it to the next level again, the Mixer streamer explained as he unveiled his swaps. Before the small tweaks he made, it was “not bad.” Now it’s a killing machine, he said. Shroud’s speedy FN Scar 17 setup The main swap shroud made to his Scar loadout was to dump the extended barrel that many have suggested is a “must-have” on the gun. Instead, you want to focus on giving the assault rifle a bigger distance by other means. The streaming star revealed he added a Monolithic Suppressor to make for the missing long barrel. On top of that, he added a CQB Comb stock “for speed.” “I like this build on the Scar. It packs a punch anyway, so you don’t have to have a barrel. All that’s going to do is slow [it’s rate of fire] down. And it takes up an attachment slot too. So I got rid of the barrel,” shroud explained. Finally, the Mixer star rounded out his Scar loadout with the added Sleight of Hand perk. He swapped in the “extra mobility” at the expense of the 30-rounder clip he had previously been using — no need with the fast reload. Shroud compliments his Scar loadout with an 0.50 GS pistol, semtex, and smoke grenades. Cold Blooded, Ghost, and Amped is his perk lineup. The choices make sense too; these are the three he said you “need” if you want to win. Shroud’s custom FN Scar 17 loadout Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex – Rear Grip: FTAC Hunter – Stock: CQB Comb Stock – Extra Perk: Sleight of Hand – For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 2:53 in the video below. You may not be a human aimbot like shroud. That’s a given. It is still worth jumping into a few Warzones games though, and testing out his dominant FN Scar 17 loadout. If the retired CSGO pro is finding this much success, you can too. Read more: Nadeshot calls for Warzone ranked after SBMM struggles If you find yourself struggling despite his new build, however, maybe take a peek at Summit’s M4A1 loadout instead. His is honed in to help a stealthy playstyle — complete with the Kar98 rifle — and might fit you better if shroud’s doesn’t work.

Shroud’s plan for CoD: Modern Warfare is a simple one – Dexerto
Shroud’s plan for CoD: Modern Warfare is a simple one Popular Twitch streamer Michael ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare arrives on October 25. Shroud has never been a big Call of Duty player or streamer, instead, he has chosen to ply his trade in other FPS games such as Counter-Strike, or in the battle royale arena with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. Although he dabbled a bit in Blackout when Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 first came out, he naturally fell back into the aforementioned titles, but in his recent promotional run with Activision and Infinity Ward for this year’s title, he may have enjoyed the game more than he expected. As such, it seems like shroud has every intention of getting involved in Modern Warfare when the game comes out, and he has explained his one very simple plan for when the game releases. Responding to a viewer during his October 18 stream, the former CS:GO professional said: “Bro, I’m going to OWN in that game. You have no idea. I am going to get so many nukes. I am going to get so many frags.” Although shroud isn’t commonly seen as a Call of Duty player, you would be foolish to doubt his ability in the game simply because his mechanical skill in FPS games is almost second to none. We’ve already seen him competing against some of the best Call of Duty players in the world at the reveal event in August and, while he was outshined by some of the pro players in attendance such as Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Preston ‘Priestahhh’ Griener, he still largely managed to hold his own. It remains to be seen how much Modern Warfare shroud will be playing this year, but as an official CoD Partner for the upcoming launch, fans should anticipate seeing him playing a lot more in the weeks following the game dropping. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is due for a worldwide release on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Shroud picks up insane ATV kill during Doritos Bowl Blackout tournament – Dexerto
Shroud picks up insane ATV kill during Doritos Bowl Blackout tournament It’s not exactly a secret that Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has more video gaming talent in his baby finger than most of us have in our entire body, but that doesn’t stop some of the things he does from surprising us just as much as they did on day one. The Canadian Twitch sensation’s current game of choice is Call of Duty: Blackout and he recently won the $250,000 Doritos Bowl TwitchCon tournament alongside his teammates, just9n, Chocotaco and Chad. Naturally, shroud produced a number of brilliant plays throughout the competition, but one in particular stood out, not because of incredible aim but because of the sheer intelligence and quick-thinking that it required. The 24-year-old was making his way towards the next circle on a quad bike (ATV) when he encountered another player doing the same. Without a moment of hesitation, shroud switched to the passenger seat of the vehicle, eliminated the opposing player while free-wheeling, and then transitioned back to riding it with total fluidity: In typical shroud fashion, everyone that was watching thought the play was incredible but the man himself barely bat and eye as he focused in on his next goal. The former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro became a Reddit sensation thanks to his flashy plays that often defied logic invariably made their way to the front page. That trend continued when he retired from competitive play and started to focus on streaming full time, playing games like PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite Battle Royale. We caught up with shroud after the conclusion of the Doritos Bowl event to discuss his team’s preparation, tactics and more: :trophy: Team Shroud #DoritosBowl at #TwitchCon2018! Why?” He took the unfortunate loss like a champ, laughing it off along with his chat, who found his predicament even more amusing than he did. The Blackout Private Beta is now available to players who pre-ordered the title on the PlayStation 4. It kicked off on September 10, and flies a total of 80 players into a map cited by Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar as being “1500 times bigger than Nuketown” via special wingsuits. Shroud’s chat trolls Modern Warfare stream presenter: “They’re calling me thicc!” – Dexerto
Shroud’s chat trolls Modern Warfare stream presenter: “They’re calling me thicc!” Twitch: shroudMembers of Michael ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal. Shroud was in Los Angeles alongside a host of other creators such as Dr Disrespect, Jack ‘CouRage‘ Dunlop and Ali ‘TSM Myth’ Kabbani to take part in the reveal livestream, with host and interviewer Leahy mingling with the players as they competed in Infinity Ward’s next blockbuster title. While preparing to interview the former CS:GO pro, Leahy happened to catch a glimpse of the streamer’s Twitch chat, only to get trolled by its memebers. 600While waiting to interview shroud, Leahy asked if he was streaming at the moment, before bending down to wave into the camera to his audience as the Canadian pointed out his chat to her. As soon as she addressed them, Twitch chat immediately started spamming “thicc,” a slang term used to describe attractive women. ‘Oh, you guys are dirty,” exclaimed Leahy as she read the comments. “Wow, they’re all calling me thicc! Shroud’s Call of Duty Blackout PC Settings Revealed – Dexerto
Shroud’s Call of Duty Blackout PC Settings Revealed On-Winning.com revealed major streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek’s settings and hardware for the Call of Duty: Blackout PC beta. The site took its data from Prosettings.net, an organization that researches and provides statistics on the settings and setups of gaming professionals. According to on-winning, Shroud’s sensitivity settings for Blackout are similar to that of his settings in Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. His mouse sensitivity was set at 9.80, with the horizontal and vertical sensitivity multipliers set at 1.00. His DPI was at 400. Shroud’s field of view was placed at 113, and his custom framerate limit was set to 250 – although Blackout had an FPS cap of 90. In addition, his ADS field of view was set to affected, with his automatic weapons switch on and his weapon cycle delay at 250. More intriguing was the hardware Shroud used. Shroud’s keyboard of choice during the beta was a HyperX Alloy Elite, while his mouse was a Logitech G303. His monitor was recorded as a BenQ XL2540. His graphics settings were also high, with the game’s details, textures, shadows and lighting, as well as post-processing effects set for optimal visibility. The post likewise revealed Shroud’s keybinds. While the post couldn’t ascertain his map, inventory, and ‘pick up attachments’ buttons, every other control was recorded, giving players an inside look into the streamer’s control scheme for the title. A full list of Shroud’s settings can be viewed here. Ultimately, Shroud’s settings and equipment provide a good blueprint for players to follow. Blackout will be released on October 12, alongside Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Shroud wants to start petition to remove ‘unfun’ tanks in Modern Warfare – Dexerto
Shroud wants to start petition to remove ‘unfun’ tanks in Modern Warfare Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has had it with Modern Warfare’s tanks in Ground War – so much so that he’s willing to start a petition just to get the ‘unfun’ vehicles removed from Call of Duty, or at least tweaked so they’re not so dominant. The Mixer superstar is no stranger to first-person shooters and what makes them good, having shone bright in the Counter-Strike professional scene with Cloud9 for years before packing it in to take his streaming career full-time. If there’s one thing the ‘human aimbot’ isn’t a big fan of, though, it’s unfair gameplay elements, and it seems like he’s found one in Modern Warfare’s explosive and player-heavy Ground War mode — tanks. In particular, shroud explained his disposition to the lumbering vehicles comes from the fact that they completely change the way the game is played when they arrive in a battle, forcing players to scatter or find different routes. “These fucking tanks man, I hate how much they make you change your movement,” he said after spotting one during his December 12 stream. “You see one, and your whole dynamic of what you’re thinking about doing just changes.” “Can I get a petition, to get rid of tanks in Ground War?” he continued. “[They] just make it like ‘Nah actually, you know what? Cancel what you’re doing, you have to do this now.’” Shroud admitted that he wasn’t entirely against the idea of tanks, however, though he wouldn’t mind seeing them drop out of the Ground War playlist for a little while. At the very least, he said, they do need some major tweaks to make them fun, and suggested it might be “pretty cool” to see them as high-end killstreaks that players had to earn, rather than just readily available weapons littered around the map. The Mixer star also addressed the main suggestion he’s seen by others who aren’t big fans of tanks, which is that the armored vehicles aren’t too much of a threat if players actually focus them down with anti-vehicle weapons. “See, the reason I don’t agree with that argument that they’re fine if people actually try to destroy them is that their respawn rate is ridiculous,” he said. “You destroy one, and another one comes back, you know what I mean? If you destroyed one, and it took a while to get back to the battlefield, then that might be a better way for them to be involved in the game.” For mobile readers, the related segment in the video below begins at 4:06. Of course, shroud isn’t the only Modern Warfare player to express their displeasure with the way tanks warp the way that Call of Duty is played, with many bugging the developers to either get rid of the powerful vehicles, or at least hit them with a nerf. Infinity Ward’s multiplayer design director Joe Cecot also admitted they may have been a little gung-ho with the power of the tanks after the game was first released, and revealed the devs were planning to “nerf the tanks a bit” on November 14. However, four patches have come and gone since Cecot’s comments, and tanks have to be touched in the past month, meaning it may be a bit of a wait until shroud gets what he wants. Maybe it is time someone started a petition.

Shroud, Summit1g & Nadeshot claim Warzone is “easier” on controller – Dexerto
Shroud, Summit1g & Nadeshot claim Warzone is “easier” on controller YouTube: NadeshotThe controller vs mouse and keyboard debate is one that may never die – but now some of the biggest names in esports and streaming have had their say on the difference in new Call of Duty battle royale Warzone. While the debate has always been a present one, it heightened when Fortnite Battle Royale was made cross-play, allowing players on various platforms to play against each other in the same lobby. Since then, aim assist on controllers became a huge problem for PC players, while controller players were incensed at the clear mechanical advantage of using a mouse and keyboard. This argument has continued into Warzone, and Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek and Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag have had their say. After dying to what he believes is a controller player, Summit immediately called out “the robot” and how powerful controllers are in Warzone. Shroud added that it’s especially prevalent with pistols, implying that pistol use with a controller and aim assist is overpowered. Summit then chimed back in with a slightly different opinion, and one that isn’t a common argument in the debate. He said: “On mouse and keyboard, the longer a gunfight lasts, the worse the situation gets for us. I feel like on console, the longer the fight lasts, the better the console player’s going to do.” (Timestamp 00:50 for mobile viewers) He added as a final note that “the robot is going to be the long-term game-changer,” to summarize his view. Nadeshot: Close range “easier” on controller Similarly, Nadeshot believes controller players have some big advantages – but doesn’t entirely sit on either side of the debate. In a tweet on March 25, he said that it is an “absolute fact” that “close/medium range gunfights are easier on controller,” but also that long-range gunfights and sniping are “obviously much easier” on keyboard and mouse. Close/medium range gunfights are easier on controller because of aim assist. I played on both this week and this is an ABSOLUTE fact. Long range and sniping, KB+M obviously much easier. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) March 26, 2020 As has become clear, this debate will probably never reach its natural conclusion, with arguments being made for either case and people often believing that their preferred input is at somewhat of a disadvantage. What is clear though, for the most part, is that a lot of the top names in the industry are having a blast on Warzone – regardless of how they play.
