OpTic Dashy explains how nerfing aim assist could improve Call of Duty forever YouTube: OpTic GamingAim assist has been a hot topic in the FPS community for years and OpTic Dashy believes that toning down the automated help could be the key to Call of Duty catching a second wind. Ever since the dawn of the battle royale era of online gaming, aim assist has found a way to divide nearly every community that splits players between controller or mouse and keyboard and CoD is no exception. While the Call of Duty League scene hasn’t had to worry about it much due to the longstanding tradition of the pro scene strictly being played on controller, OpTic Dashy believes that it might be a time for a slight tweak to the system in order to make the game more competitive. Dashy explains how aim assist is holding the new era of Call of Duty back In the September 29 OpTic Podcast, Dashy was joined by Hitch, H3CZ, and MBoze as they discussed the Modern Warfare 2 beta. While the feedback was mostly positive, there were some standout problems according to the panel. Of the more notable topics was the inclusion of the all-new mantling system, Dead Silence being a field upgrade, and an incredibly quick time-to-kill across the board. While discussing how fast players die, OpTic Texas’ star AR player brought up how aim assist only intensifies the problem and raises the skill level across the board to levels that are unhealthy for the game. He specifically highlighted the ‘Dynamic’ aim response curve setting, which without getting too technical, is largely meant for players who are doing an unusual amount of looking around their surroundings. “It’s literally an AI…it’s an actual aimbot,” he claimed. “Everyone looks like they have the best gunny ever and it makes every CoD look like a point-and-click. It takes no skill.” Hitch followed that up by saying that casual players are now shooting as straight as some of the most legendary Call of Duty players of all time and Dashy backed him up, saying “my grandma is probably ripping me off of a [headglitch] in one of these beta games.” While it’s unlikely that the franchise makes a drastic change this close to MW2’s release, the CDL pros could take matters into their own hands and agree not to use it in the upcoming season if it proves to be too powerful this year.

OpTic Dashy drama explained: tell-all stream, Rambo beef, “toxic teammate” – Dexerto
OpTic Dashy drama explained: tell-all stream, Rambo beef, “toxic teammate” Activision/Call of Duty LeagueIn the aftermath of Call of Duty League Major 1, there has been almost non-stop drama within the OpTic Texas camp. From huge roster moves and rumors to Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell’s tell-all stream where he explained their issues, here’s a recap of what’s gone down. OpTic Texas are undeniably the biggest, most popular team in the CDL, with a rabid fanbase that follows their players as closely as any other top sports team. For that reason, when OpTic dropped Dashy after Major 1 and the CDL rostermania rumor mill got running, it invaded the thoughts of just about every fan of OpTic and other teams across the league. Things haven’t died down either, with Dashy going live in the early hours of Friday, January 13 (the day Major 2 qualifiers are due to kick off) to respond to some of the topics discussed on the OpTic podcast, where they spoke about why Dashy got dropped. Dashy has “attitude issues”? In the OpTic podcast, it was suggested by Seth ‘Scump’ Abner that Dashy was dropped by OpTic due to out-of-game issues. “We had a talk at the start of the year and we laid it out on the table,” Scump explained. “This is what we expect from everybody, this is what we want this year. If we don’t get it there’s gonna be f**king problems. There were problems… That’s why I wanted Ray to say it’s not performance-based, because it’s not performance-based, at all.” Previously, it was confirmed that Dashy’s attitude was the reason OpTic had considered dropping him, with Rambo adding that “the reasons that led us to want to make the roster change in the off-season is what led us to make a roster change at this point.” Dashy hits back in fiery Twitch stream Shortly after watching the podcast, Dashy went live on Twitch to respond to some of the things said about him and air some of his grievances of playing on OpTic — predominantly, playing under Rambo as his coach. He explained that during iLLeY’s absence in the Vanguard season, the team made apparently excuses and “wanted people to feel sorry for them,” which resulted in him being frustrated during scrims as his teammates wouldn’t take it seriously. This, he claims, made him a more toxic teammate, and when he was told so, he sought to address it. He said: “The reason I was toxic, 80% of it was because of Ray, because 90% of the time he’d bring up a clip in the chat like ‘we’re best in the game on this specific hill.’” He then suggested that they’d see a random spawn or weird encounter and Ray would make them adjust everything for that specific scenario, getting worse at it in the process. Dashy also accused Rambo of dipping out of scrims to go bowling, which he was baffled by despite nobody else really bringing it up. Rambo responded, saying that it was just once and that he went back to work after with the VODs provided by analyst JP. Dashy also claimed that he would be the most vocal player in losses because nobody else would speak, and he was then accused of being a “vibe kill.” While it’s still up in the air what comes next for Dashy, it still feels like there’s more to come from this drama — and if Dashy does get on a new team soon, the revenge tour will be truly underway.

OpTic Dashy claims he might quit pro CoD if he wins CDL Champs 2023 – Dexerto
OpTic Dashy claims he might quit pro CoD if he wins CDL Champs 2023 Call of Duty LeagueOpTic Texas Call of Duty League star Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell has suggested that he could quit professional CoD altogether if he wins CDL Champs in the coming Modern Warfare 2 season. Dashy has been one of the standout stars of recent Call of Duty League seasons. An efficient and flashy assault rifle player, he’s regularly posting huge numbers and highlight reel plays, ranking among the very best in the game from a statistical perspective. At just 23 years of age, he’s still in the prime of his career, too, with CDL players now pushing as old as 30 while still competing at the highest level. During a recent Twitch stream, Dashy hinted that he might not be going for the same kind of longevity in his Call of Duty career, especially if he wins CoD Champs. Champs is the pinnacle of the CDL season, with the biggest prize pool and a set of championship rings waiting to be bestowed upon four players looking to etch their name in the Call of Duty history books. During his stream, Dashy was asked whether he would quit CoD if offered a spot on a franchised Valorant team — a game he has been grinding a lot during the off-season — and it wasn’t the resounding no that many would have expected. “No, honestly, I don’t think I’d ever quit CoD until I won Champs,” he said. “I mean, at least, that’s my goal. “I think if we win Champs this year, I’m f**king out,” he added, before letting out a laugh — perhaps suggesting he’s being a bit tongue-in-cheek with regard to the situation. Dashy, like every other pro CoD player, has aspirations of being a world champion. That’s no surprise, and it’s considered the ultimate goal for professionals. That said, while he’s still so young, it’s hard to see him wanting to hang up the sticks if he was to become a champ during the 2023 season — though stranger things have certainly happened. OpTic Texas will be running it back with their 2022 roster after some turmoil during the offseason almost saw them split. However, with most CDL teams now fully announced, they definitely look like they should still be competing for championships in Modern Warfare 2.

OpTic Dallas CDL logo leaked ahead of Envy merger – Dexerto
OpTic Dallas CDL logo leaked ahead of Envy merger Activision/USPTOOpTic Dallas, a merger between Envy Gaming’s Dallas Empire franchise and OpTic Gaming, has seemingly been confirmed by new trademarks. The Call of Duty esports community was shocked on August 29 when it was reported that Envy Gaming, the parent company of CDL franchise Dallas Empire, and OpTic Gaming were working on a merger. The result of the business deal, which was first reported by Dot Esports, would be a new franchise named OpTic Dallas — the third location for the OpTic brand in as many Call of Duty League seasons. As per trademark filings owned by Envy Gaming, the OpTic Dallas name was submitted on October 21. A logo, which has to be presumed as the official emblem of the reported team, has also been submitted. While the merger has yet to be officially confirmed or announced by either party, a rumored roster for the prospective OpTic Dallas has also surfaced. Scump and Dashy of OpTic Chicago and Shotzzy and iLLeY of Dallas Empire are expected to comprise the new-look franchise’s squad for the upcoming season. With two franchises becoming one, Activision Blizzard need to find another ownership group to once again have 12 active teams in the league. Dot Esports reported on September 17 that it would likely be Washington Esports Ventures, the group behind Overwatch League franchise Washington Justice, that would acquire the vacant slot. OpTic Gaming as a brand has been through a lot since the inception of the Call of Duty League. OpTic Gaming Los Angeles competed in the first season, under the ownership of Immortals Gaming Club, before Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez re-acquired the org. Moving into the second season, H3CZ and his partners at NRG retired the Chicago Huntsmen branding in favor of utilizing OpTic Chicago. Now, all signs point to OpTic moving from Chicago to Dallas with Envy.

OpTic Crimsix shares thoughts on CWL Pro League rostermania, gives advice to fellow pros – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix shares thoughts on CWL Pro League rostermania, gives advice to fellow pros The winningest player in Call of Duty, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, has shared his opinion on the CWL pro league roster trades that took place over the transfer period which closed on March 8. Crimsix began the video without one of his famous intro lines, stating that this was much more of a serious discussion. The OpTic Gaming star went on to sympathize with many of the players who lost their spot in the pro league and referred to some of the challenges he had with signing to organizations in the past as he gave advice to other players. Crimsix commented on the trades with the Midnight and Excelerate rosters, stating that a lot of the moves during the transfer period were probably being made with the franchising system in mind for next year: “I think this was the main reason this rostermania happened. So many of the teams realized ‘hey we’re not gonna be in the league next year, let’s just fuck over the players and make them sign some super-max deal so then we can sell them for as much money as possible’.” Read More: Call of Duty Pro League transfer period Rostermania hub The veteran believes that orgs are signing some of the big-name pro players who didn’t qualify during this year’s PLQ as they are likely to receive more money selling them in the future to franchise teams than keeping their original rosters. ”I’m expecting every single big-name player to come to the league, even though they didn’t qualify,” he concluded. Crimsix also had some advice for players that have, or could in the future, found themselves in a difficult situation during roster transfers and contract negotiations. “Getting an agent would help,” he says, before explaining that the cost is worth it in the long run. “At the end of the day, you are paying for peace of mind. You are paying so you are not constantly worried about ‘am I gonna get dropped?’ pretty much.” He also emphasized the importance for the young, up-and-coming players to build a personal brand on social media to use as leverage in contract negotiations towards the end of the video. “When you have leverage, that’s all you realistically need when you are a player talking to an org, trying to get what you want.”

OpTic Crimsix provides his best Black Ops 4 classes for competitive play – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix provides his best Black Ops 4 classes for competitive play If you plan to play Black Ops 4 competitively, then your class load out is the first thing you need to make sure is on point, and thankfully OpTic’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has explained exactly what he uses. The two time world champion is reuniting with his long time teammate Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow on OpTic as the organization looks to get back to winning ways after a tough WWII season. Fellow two time world champion Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov and Advanced Warfare world champion Dillon ‘Attach’ Price also showed off their classes recently, but both are primarily faster SMG players, so Crimsix’s load out may differ slightly. For this season in Black Ops 4, Crimsix will be determined to wash off the disappointment of the top 24 placement at the 2017 World Championship, and so has immediately began competitive practice following the game’s release on October 12, alongside his new teammates. Currently, players can really only practice in Search and Destroy tournaments and wager matches, with the official CWL ruleset not released, so it is worth bearing in mind that these classes are for a specific game mode for the time being. His perks remain the same throughout, with Flak Jacket, Dexterity and Dead Silence on every class except one, with Flack Jacket swapped out for Lightweight on the SAUG (SMG) class. As gun balance updates and other changes inevitably come in to Black Ops 4 over the course of the next few months, some of these class selections will change. These load outs are tailored specifically to Search and Destroy, but the weapon selection is definitely the best that Black Ops 4 has to offer, and line up with both Apathy and Attach’s weapon choices. When professional teams begin to scrim respawn game modes like hardpoint, there should be more details on what you should be running in these modes too, but for now, while SnD is king, look no further than Crim’s setup.

OpTic Crimsix explains why he wants Seaside Hardpoint out of CoD esports map rotation – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix explains why he wants Seaside Hardpoint out of CoD esports map rotation OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has a major issue with the map ‘Seaside’ in Black Ops 4, calling for it to be removed from the competitive map rotation. In total, there are eight Hardpoint maps in rotation, but it is expected at least one or two of these will make way depending on feedback from players. Most commonly complained about has been Summit, the remade map from the original Black Ops, which some argue is too small now with 5v5 competitive and unlimited sprint. However, Crimsix has revealed that he in fact prefers Summit over another map, Seaside, complaining that the latter has been ruined due to updated spawns. Treyarch has been rolling out spawn adjustments with almost every patch, and lots of changes were made in the November 13 update, but Crimsix believes they have been for the worse. “Seaside HP with these new spawns are quite comical,” he says, explaining that the spawns are either too far or too close. I’m assuming that a good DLC map will eventually come out but for now Summit needs to be in. — Ian Porter (@OpTic_Crimsix) November 15, 2018 Crimsix goes on to say that while he hopes a DLC map will come in to replace Summit, he thinks Summit should be the map of choice over Seaside, in the current rotation. Team Envy captain Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price is not in complete agreement however, arguing that Crimsix’ explanation of spawns and distances to hardpoints only apply to one rotation. Crimsix claims it is the case with both the 1st and 3rd hardpoint. If Seaside was removed, it would leave seven Hardpoint maps total, but many players expect Summit to be removed, and complaints have also been made about Slums – another remade map which some feel is too small for 5v5 and unlimited sprint. There are also hopes in the competitive community that other classic Black Ops maps, namely Raid and Standoff from Black Ops 2, might make a return in DLC and be added to the map pool.

OpTic’s Crimsix makes bold claim about his team ahead of CWL London – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix makes bold claim about his team ahead of CWL London Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 form and are set to spring a surprise at CWL London. When the Black Ops 4 competitive season got underway, OpTic dominated the early online tournaments and rolled that overwhelming momentum into a win at CWL Vegas – where they not only didn’t lose a single series but only dropped four maps throughout the entire course of the event. However, that form has since taken a turn, with the team floundering at points during the CWL Pro League and at CWL Fort Worth. Yet, Crimsix is confident that his squad is back in their early groove and ready to reclaim their spot as top dogs. Speaking about the team’s chances prior to the one and only European event of the season, the two-time world champion said: “OpTic Gaming is not the same team that we were before. Ever since we turned the streams off, we’ve been getting better every single day.” He added: “London? It’s going to be a surprise to everybody. I think that the team you’ve seen before, Vegas, we’re probably better than we were at Vegas, so, looking forward to it.” Yet, the always entertaining Crimsix wasn’t finished there – offering up a hyped “Fuck yeah!” before closing out his thoughts. How are we feeling about CWL London? Just ask @OpTic_Crimsix.Presented by @TurtleBeach pic.twitter.com/1bneghMnSM — OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTicGaming) May 2, 2019 Will OpTic claim victory at CWL London? While Crimsix didn’t detail just what impact that not streaming practice games had exactly, it’s clearly been the driving factor behind the team’s supposed up-turn in form and new-found confidence ahead of the third major LAN event of the season. CWL London kicks off on May 3, with OpTic facing a tough round of pool play with matchups against 100 Thieves, Enigma6 and Team Reciprocity. Despite that, the Green Wall will be hoping for a much better showing than last time out at CWL Fort Worth and their cross-divisional play pro league round – where they were swept 3-0 by 100 Thieves, prompting these changes within the team.

OpTic’s Crimsix and 100 Thieves’ Enable butt heads over boot camp scrims – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix and 100 Thieves’ Enable butt heads over boot camp scrims 100 Thieves Call of Duty player Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt didn’t hold back against OpTic’s Ian “Crimsix” Porter after a scrimmage between the two sides on Twitch. On March 24, Call of Duty stalwarts 100 Thieves and OpTic Gaming were set to scrim ahead of the start of the cross-division of the CWL Pro League. During the scrims, 100 Thieves’ player Sam ‘Octane’ Larew started commenting in Crimsix’s Twitch chat, which the streamer replied to by calling out 100 Thieves for showing up late to the scrimmages. Shortly afterward, Enable shot back on Twitter, claiming that Crimsix had shown up two hours late every day to the OpTic boot camp that took place ahead of CWL Forth Worth. “We played you at your boot camp bro don’t lie to your fans,” Enable wrote. “You showed up 2 hours late every day good try tho, [P]orter.” Crimsix replied claiming that 100 Thieves had refused to play OpTic during the boot camp, a claim that Enable denied as well. “No one showed up late,” Crimsix wrote. “You guys fucking refused to play us on the third day and you decided to not play Heretics because you set up an SND [challenge] AT A LAN. [Y]ou absolute morons.” OpTic and 100 Thieves will meet during official action in the last CWL match of Week 6 on April 4, and it will be interesting to see how the trash talk evolves until then.

OpTic CoD players revolt after LA franchise announcement – Dexerto
OpTic CoD players revolt after LA franchise announcement via Fox Sports Asia / OpTic Gaming TwitterWhile the initial announcement that OpTic Gaming would be Call of Duty League seemed to be a positive one, the reactions from members of the organization have painted a different picture. When Immortals Gaming Club bought out OpTic Gaming’s parent company Infinite Esports, they made it clear that they would be holding onto the OpTic Gaming name in Call of Duty, but it appears that the members that make up that team will be much different than what fans have come to know and love. After the announcement on July 1 that OpTic Gaming had secured one of the first seven city-based franchises in the new CWL structure, names that are near synonymous to the Greenwall brand reacted in disbelief, indicating that all is not what it seems with the announcement. OGxLA We will be the Los Angeles franchise in CDL 2020.#OGLA #GREENWALL pic.twitter.com/LtJFpmgRVc — OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTicGaming) July 1, 2019 The official announcement from OpTic was quickly overshadowed by rumblings made by the likes of Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez, CoD team veteran Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner. The messages seems to indicate that while the OpTic brand is getting set for a new chapter in its CoD history, it could be without some key members of the organization. How did it get to this point? There’s been a massive cloud of confusion surrounding the legendary OpTic name as soon as IGC came into the picture. A report had surfaced that H3CZ was in a bidding war for Infinite Esports, but was ultimately overcome by IGC. It was later revealed by an ESPN report that ICG had won the right to buy Infinite “for cash and equity worth $35 to $45 million.” In fact, H3CZ later revealed that he “remains a shareholder” within OpTic, but hadn’t given a comment to the extent of involvement within the team after the buyout. After the buyout, the new leadership in OpTic gave an encouraging message about the CoD team which isn’t sitting too well with fans at the moment. “Clearly OpTic is a premier Call of Duty brand,” said Peter Levin, Managing Director of Griffin Gaming Partners and Chairman of the IGC Board of Directors. “We are excited to work with our partners at Activision Blizzard to ensure that OpTic continues to play that leading role in Call of Duty’s future.” Fans and org members alike have been battling to keep OpTic largely unchanged, but it looks like it’ll soon be all for naught with the latest reactions to franchising.

OpTic CoD pro iLLeY reveals wild cash earnings from underage tournaments – Dexerto
OpTic CoD pro iLLeY reveals wild cash earnings from underage tournaments Envy / Apple / PexelsOpTic Texas star Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal reveals that he made somewhere around $100K as a Call of Duty player winning underage tournaments. After the Advanced Warfare season in 2015, the Call of Duty World League was formed and required everyone to be at least 18 years old to compete. This meant that young guns like Simp, TJHaly, iLLeY, and more would have to wait a few years before getting their time in the spotlight. However, instead of wasting his talent, iLLeY streamed and played in online tournaments where the prodigy earned a hefty paycheck before starting his CDL career. Illey talks about earnings before CDL stint In an appearance on Attach’s ‘Stay Attached’ podcast, the current ROKKR pro asked iLLeY a question people have been dying to know: “How much money did you make in total during your SnD career.” He didn’t know exactly how much came directly from Search and Destroy matches. But, between tournaments, streaming, and his eUnited Cadets salary, the CoD Champ claims to have earned “over $100K.” Read More: CDL Major 2 Qualifiers – Attach was extremely impressed with the six-figure payout iLLeY managed to rack up. And to top all of this, the money was earned prior to him turning 18. To put this in perspective, the 2018 CoD World Championship saw a $1.5 million prize pool, with each winning player taking home $150K. So it’s almost like he had won a major event before making his debut. The now-OpTic pro didn’t begin his official CoD career until 2020, which was when the CDL was founded. In his first season, iLLeY saw himself on Dallas Empire, who would go on to win the World Championship. Currently, he sits as the 17th highest-earning CoD player of all time and if we added his $100K from his underage days, he would rank just outside the top-10.

OpTic CoD pro Dashy eliminates himself twice in hilarious 30-second sequence – Dexerto
OpTic CoD pro Dashy eliminates himself twice in hilarious 30-second sequence Winning back-to-back CWL 2K tournaments doesn’t mean that you’re immune from the occasional slip-up, as OpTic Gaming’s Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell has discovered. Dashy has probably been feeling pretty good about himself lately in the wake of his team’s hot start to the Black Ops 4 season, winning the first two CWL 2K events. Even with such success, though, Dashy is still prone to making some hilarious mistakes in the middle of a scrim with the rest of his team. Playing Hardpoint on Arsenal, Dashy is looking for a way to flank the opposing team when he tosses a Cluster Grenade into a window before jumping in right after it with predictable results. “Ohhh… No one saw that. No one saw that,” Dashy tells his chat as he waits to respawn after killing himself. It didn’t stop there, however, as immediately after respawning, Dashy once again found himself dead after accidentally auto-mantling into an out-of-bounds area of the map. The frustrated Dashy simply yells out a quick “Bro!” before rolling his eyes and getting back into the swing of things. He seemed to take it all in stride, laughing off the blunder as his viewers spammed the chat with various emotes to show they were enjoying it too. Fans have taken notice of the seemingly more laid back demeanor of the entire team, with one fan even detailing why they think this year’s OpTic team will do better than last year. With the first offline event taking place in Las Vegas in just under a month, fans of the Greenwall won’t have long to wait long to see just what this team has in store for this season.

OpTic CoD can’t stop laughing after Crimsix unleashes the Gunship on LG – Dexerto
OpTic CoD can’t stop laughing after Crimsix unleashes the Gunship on LG ActivisionOpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter left his teammates in hysterics after he let loose with the Gunship on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to help seal a hilarious win. Crimsix, who is the Main Assault Rifle player for the American esports organization’s CoD team, decided to switch away from his Maddox RFB assault rifle to command a scrim against Luminosity Gaming from the sky and the results were devastating. The two-time World Champion picked up a hilarious 10 killstreak using the Gunship to seal a victory, shocking both his OpTic team and his Twitch viewers, who couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Players can pick up a Gunship in Black Ops 4 Multiplayer by either completing a scorestreak (1600) or finding one in a care package. Either way, the results can be terrifying for the opposing team and Crimsix shows that perfectly here. “Gunship inbound,” he shouted, before his laughing teammates suggested places for him to fire at. “Haha, they’ve stopped playing.” OpTic fans will be looking ahead to CWL Fort Worth on March 15-17, where their team will face off against some of the other best Call of Duty players in the world. While the use of the scorestreak might not be the best preparation for the upcoming tournament, as it’s very difficult to get a Gunship at a competitive event, there’s no doubt that it’s fun to watch.

OpTic coach TeeP roasts Scump over CWL London performance – Dexerto
OpTic coach TeeP roasts Scump over CWL London performance TeeP – Twitter / MLGOpTic Gaming Call of Duty team coach Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow did not hold back when roasting captain Seth ‘Scump‘ Abner about the squad’s performance at CWL London. Following the conclusion of the $325,000 pro tournament on May 5, many of the US-based players and teams embarked on their long trek back home. TeeP was fortunate enough to get back to the States right the next day, tweeting about how good it was to see his wife after his nearly week-long absence. Scump, on the other hand, was still stuck in London at the time, expressing his frustrations at that fact in a Twitter response to TeeP. Instead of being sympathetic to Scump’s situation, however, TeeP decided to take a hilarious jab at the pro player for their performance at CWL London. OpTic lost against 100 Thieves by a scoreline of 3-1. In that match, OpTic had several chances to win the game three Control on Arsenal, but two incredible, last-minute surges from 100T stole the game from under the Green Wall’s noses. The first came when OpTic had a 2-1 lead and a sizable man advantage but lost due to a mindblowing sequence of kills from Kenny at the end. That was followed by an incredible collective effort from 100T at the end of the final round, which saw them stave off OG with just 0.3 seconds on the clock. OpTic take third at CWL London Coming into CWL London as one of the favorites to win the event, it came as no major shock when OpTic Gaming went 3-0 in pool play to finish first in Pool A. They continued that with two dominant sweeps of FaZe Clan and Team Heretics in the Winners Bracket, setting up a massive match against 100 Thieves to decide who would advance to the Grand Final. Things took a drastic turn on Championship Sunday, however, as OpTic lost to 100T 3-1 to drop down to the Losers Bracket Final, where they were convincingly swept by eUnited to finish third. It will be a short turnaround for OpTic following those two losses, as they’re set to resume their Pro League matches on May 13.

OpTic Chicago test Express & Apocalypse as CDL teams call for Stage 2 map changes – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago test Express & Apocalypse as CDL teams call for Stage 2 map changes Call of Duty League / ActivisionAs the Call of Duty League 2021 season heads toward Stage 2, CDL coaches and players are calling for changes to the map pool as OpTic Chicago test out new maps like Express and Apocalypse. While Black Ops Cold War was initially praised for gunplay, movement and the absence of doorways, some maps have drawn the ire of competitive players. Understandably, when Raid made its return to competitive CoD, players and fans alike were delighted. Still, numerous map changes have been tested and, especially considering the spawn differences on 20 Hz and 60 Hz servers, CDL teams have remained concerned with improvements to the map pool. After Stage 1 wrapped up, those concerns have bubbled up and teams have begun testing two new candidates: Express and Apocalypse. On March 9, the Minnesota ROKKR’s head coach Brian ‘Saintt’ Baroska tweeted a clip of Crossroads spawns in hopes that the map could be removed from the pool. Following numerous responses to his tweets, it appears that momentum is gaining — as OpTic is already testing new maps in scrims. This map HAS to go, bring in Apocalypse immediately pic.twitter.com/rAtwvxZnn0 — Brian Baroska (@BrianSaintt) March 9, 2021 After Saintt asked for Apocalypse to replace Crossroads in the map pool, the Los Angeles Thieves’ Thomas ‘TJhaLy’ Haly immediately responded in agreement: “Apocalypse should be in.” The next day, fans noticed a conversation during Seth ‘Scump’ Abner’s stream about trying out Apocalypse and Express during scrims. In the VOD, the team can be heard discussing Apocalypse and Express tests during the downtime before Stage 2. During the stream, Scump and the OpTic boys excitedly talk about playing Apocalypse and Express, with ‘The King’ eventually expressing how much he enjoys the former map particularly. This turns out to be a sentiment echoed across the league, as the Seattle Surge’s Sam ‘Octane’ Larew showed in his own tweet. While no decisions have been made yet and it remains unclear which maps would be removed if Apocalypse and Express trials go well, momentum seems to be growing. With four teams already publicly vying for Apocalypse’s addition, things could escalate in the lead-up to Stage 2. Until the schedule and Stage 2 map pool are officialized, teams are likely to continue testing things out — so fans should keep their eyes peeled.

OpTic Chicago reveal their stacked World Series of Warzone tournament team – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago reveal their stacked World Series of Warzone tournament team Activision / Call of Duty LeagueOpTic Gaming fans will be delighted to find out just which three Green Wall legends are representing OpTic Chicago during Call of Duty’s $1.2 million World Series of Warzone tournament series. The biggest Warzone tournament series ever, the World Series of Warzone, is set to feature $1.2 million in prizing and players invited from CDL teams and the professional Warzone circuit, alongside some through open qualifiers. With the first $300,000 tournament on June 23, OpTic Chicago revealed their team plans for the inaugural trios tournament. And it’s three iconic players, two current players and one retired legend: Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow. During an episode of the OpTic Podcast, Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez revealed the stacked trio and asked his active players about getting back into Verdansk. From concern to excitement, Scump and FormaL broke down their Warzone expectations. Speaking about OpTic’s squad for the WSOW’s first event, H3CZ confirms that it’s going to be Scump and FormaL alongside the retired Karma. Both current pros are excited about that unit, with Scump saying he’s “super hype” and FormaL noting that “Damon’s about to be nasty.” But Scump does have one concern that he hopes will be solved by Activision: “The only thing that I hope happens is that they unlock all of the reticles, everything, for pro players.” Mentioning reticles like the “T-Pose” for the AMAX, Scump wants the devs to unlock everything for pro players who haven’t had time to grind. But if Activision and Raven Software aren’t willing, H3CZ offers an alternative: hiring community members to level up his players’ accounts. All in all, the OpTic boys seem ready to hit Verdansk and are excited that Karma’s been able to work on his Warzone skills to lead them. As for how they intend to play, Scump and FormaL are not shy — they’re going to be cautious. While Scump said he’ll “be playing like a rat,” FormaL challenged their opponents: “I’m hiding. Come find me.”

OpTic Chicago furious over “unacceptable” server drama after FaZe CDL loss – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago furious over “unacceptable” server drama after FaZe CDL loss ActivisionAfter suffering a humiliating loss at the hands of Atlanta FaZe, the OpTic Chicago players were left reeling as it turned out they were playing on the wrong server, giving FaZe a huge advantage. While the Call of Duty League has been online for over a year now, there still seems to be a lot of debate over how to make games fair for everyone playing — but they seem to have hit a pretty serious snag in the FaZe vs OpTic Stage 3 matchup. While for the most part, the games have run incredibly smoothly, this monumental matchup was apparently put on the wrong server, at the serious cost of OpTic’s ability to play on a level field. While teams get to choose which servers they play on to make it fair for everyone, the players are alleging that a “typo” in an email caused this high-stakes matchup to be played on the Atlanta server — home of the FaZe team. According to Envoy, the OpTic vs FaZe match was played on the wrong server due to a typo 😬 https://t.co/Pu8hK4Ul1Y — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) May 9, 2021 While OpTic were absolutely dominated by their Atlanta rivals, this definitely raises questions over the all-important CDL series, which had serious ramifications for both teams. Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell tweeted after the match that they “got finessed in broad daylight” for a chance to make the winner’s bracket of the Stage 3 Major. Got finessed in broad daylight that ref is probably dapping up Banks & the boys throwing the FaZe up rn — brandon (@DashySZN) May 9, 2021 Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon also tweeted saying that it happened due to “a typo in an email,” adding that it’s not why they lost but is “f**king unacceptable.” Just got told the CDL Host selected the wrong server in our match because of a typo in a email. 1000% not why we lost but that is un fucking acceptable. — Ultra Envoy (@DylanEnvoy) May 9, 2021 Other pros baffled It wasn’t just the OpTic players mindblown at the server ordeal, either. Seattle Surge’s Sam ‘Octane’ Larew questioned how the ref of the match didn’t see any issue with Atlanta FaZe loading into an Atlanta server against a team based in Texas. No way the guy loading up the Atlanta server saw FaZe in the lobby and thought to himself yeah this is right — Sam “Octane” Larew (@OctaneSam) May 9, 2021 Taking to Reddit, JKap explained how the server picks usually work, saying “I saw that match was gonna be on ATL plus someone had told me that OpTic hated the STL server so much that they agreed to the ATL one.” Upon realizing the League actually messed up, he’s clearly as confused as everyone else. As a result of Atlanta’s 3-0 win over Chicago, the OpTic side will start in the loser’s bracket at the Major. While questions can be raised over the server ordeal, they looked completely out of place in all three maps, ping-related issues or not. They’ll be hoping to tighten things up at the Stage 3 Major, with a $500k prize pool, CDL points, and a whole lot of glory on the line.

Are OpTic Chicago fans jealous of “boring” Atlanta FaZe? CDL Reverse Sweep Preview Show – Dexerto
Are OpTic Chicago fans jealous of “boring” Atlanta FaZe? CDL Reverse Sweep Preview Show Dexerto Before we get to the second week of action in Stage 5 of the Call of Duty League, our Reverse Sweep crew of Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker & Katie Bedford are here to preview the biggest matchups and make some bold predictions. With Week 1 done and dusted, all CDL teams are looking ahead to their Week 2 matchups. From FaZe vs OpTic to Empire vs Mutineers, there are some spicy games on the horizon. Certain teams like the Subliners are in need of a big rebound while teams like Toronto have a chance to regain their earlier form. It’s all set to go down at the Minnesota Home Series and our Reverse Sweep crew is here to preview all the biggest storylines. Has Atlanta FaZe’s dominance become “boring” to watch? After another typical FaZe showing in Week 1, the CDL’s best team hasn’t missed a step after the break. But has their unmatched dominance become “boring” for spectators? Pacman and Enable came in with different opinions on the matter. “I don’t want to say they’re boring, that’s not the right term,” Pacman said. “They’re just so predictable and dominant.” “They’re at a point now where they’re just beating their own records,” Enable added. “It doesn’t really matter who FaZe is playing, they’re gonna be in the finals. So any fan of a team other than FaZe, you probably do think it’s boring.” Though as a fan of competition in general, Enable stressed there’s no team more enjoyable to watch. Their gameplay is “like art. I’d rather watch FaZe 10/10 times than one of the bottom four teams.” Dallas Empire set to “breeze” through week 2 While FaZe may still be a step ahead, Empire is hot on their heels. With two games on the schedule for Week 2, this could be another opportunity to prove they’re ahead of the pack. “Dallas is firing on all cylinders right now,” Enable said. Therefore, he has them “winning 2-0” against Florida and Minnesota. Pacman agreed with the scoreline, but wants to see more than just a few wins. “This is a weekend they need to breeze through,” he added. “I think this is gonna be a big sign they’re on the right path.” How far can the Los Angeles Thieves go with John? With John now back in the CDL mix, Week 2 is another opportunity to get some high-level game time under his belt once again. Given he’s a “seasoned pro” and has countless hours in “Challengers this year,” neither Pacman nor Enable are concerned about this week’s results. “He’s been in Challengers all year, he’s teaming with SlasheR, he has JKap as his coach, this is the best spot he could be in,” Enable said. With a big match against FaZe in the cards, this could be a big week for John to prove himself once again. Could @LATheives be a top team?@PacmanJT feels they now have the potential, but needs to see more.#CDL2021 Biggest Mover | Presented by @KontrolFreek. pic.twitter.com/gszpWBGXP3 — DEXERTO Call of Duty Esports News (@DexertoIntel) July 14, 2021 Ones to watch in CDL Stage 5 Week 2 Week 2 is set to deliver some important showdowns before Champs, so Pacman believes LA Thieves are the team to watch this time around. “If they’re going to be a contender, they need to play [FaZe] closely. I think this is their most important match.” Conversely, Enable wants to keep a close eye on the Subliners. Week 1 was a “bad week” where they “didn’t look good at all.” Therefore, Week 2 is vital.”They need to win every series” moving forward, Enable stressed. “I want to go with Toronto,” Katie added. “Lately they’ve been missing a little bit of that extra magic that made them special. Really want to see them come out in week two and make a splash with dominant wins.” Bold predictions for CDL Stage 5 Week 2 As for predictions in Week 2, Enable couldn’t help but gas his boys in the LA Thieves camp. “I have LA Thieves going 2-0, beating FaZe and Paris, but that’s not it.” The former 100 Thieves star also has FaZe losing to OpTic shortly after. Could this be their first 0-2 week in the season? Meanwhile, Pacman’s prediction focused on the lower side of the standings instead. “I’m gonna go with London being the only bottom four team to get a win. They’re gonna beat NYSL 3-1.” Lastly, Katie believes Minnesota has what it takes to secure a big win in Week 2. “I think Minnesota gets a surprise upset over Dallas.” It all comes down to this.@Enable talks about the player mindset heading into Champs.#CDL2021 Power Rankings | Presented by @USAA. pic.twitter.com/QvnjOxaAyo — DEXERTO Call of Duty Esports News (@DexertoIntel) July 14, 2021 Is there any purpose for the bottom four CDL teams? With the majority of teams already locked in for Champs, the bottom four have very little to play for as the year winds down. So is there a reason for anyone to tune in? “Yes,” Enable argued. “This is why every team should have an Academy team in Challengers. If you know you’re not making playoffs, bring in young players to see their potential. LA Guerrillas should have brought in their full Academy team.” Not only that, but these final games are important “for their future individually.” If players slump and fail to take these games seriously, it could leave them struggling to find a home in the 2022 season. “Your performance, your attitude, your drive, it does still matter.”

OpTic Chicago explain why CDL loss to Atlanta FaZe was a good thing – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago explain why CDL loss to Atlanta FaZe was a good thing Call of Duty League / ActivisionOpTic Chicago and Atlanta FaZe are two of the best teams in the Call of Duty League, but it did come as a slight surprise when Atlanta won their matchup on the CDL’s opening weekend of 2021. [jwplayer HTC4QIpT] For most fans, while Atlanta would arguably be a top three team, the consensus seemed to be that Dallas Empire and OpTic Chicago were a clear top two, with FaZe just behind them. What actually went down during the opening weekend reflected something slightly different, Minnesota ROKKR taking out Dallas and FaZe securing the 3-2 win over OpTic, including a 12-1 total Search and Destroy round count over the Greenwall. While you might expect the Chicagoans to be reeling over their loss against one of their key opponents, the team actually seems to think it was a good thing for them. Appearing on the OpTic podcast, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper and Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell got onto the topic of their opening matches and their 1-1 record. With team owner Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez asking what actually happened to bring about the loss, the duo weren’t too upset. “To take away anything from that match, it was just S&D’s, obviously,” Dashy said, before adding that their Search is actually pretty good but those maps are a problem for them. He also said that they were pretty happy with how the match went, all things considered. FormaL reiterated Dashy’s point and went one further. “It’s honestly better that we didn’t just 3-1 them. If we won 3-1, we would’ve looked at that Miami (Search & Destroy) like it was a fluke. But, because we lost both Searches so bad, it made us take a step back and realize we’ve got to improve on those maps.” The justification definitely makes sense, and leaves the squad plenty of time to fix up their issues; it’s much better this happens now than later down the line when it might be too late. From here on out, it will become clear how much this loss really was a good thing for the OpTic team. If we see stark improvements going forward then it worked out — if not, then it could get ugly as teams find ways to take more maps off of them.

OpTic Chicago & Dallas Empire will struggle if Checkmate map is removed from CDL – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago & Dallas Empire will struggle if Checkmate map is removed from CDL ActivisionThe Call of Duty League map pool is always looking at being improved from pro players and devs alike, and with some wanting Checkmate removed from the rotation, OpTic and Dallas could be in trouble. In Stage 2, we saw Express and Apocalypse enter the map rotation while Crossroads departed, and this meant some teams’ map pools improved while others’ got worse. With Stage 3 now ready to go, one map has been a huge source of frustration for players and viewers alike: Checkmate. It’s based in an airplane hangar, with the central plane a focal point in every game mode. The design of the map has come under heavy criticism, and with new maps such as BO2 classic Standoff arriving in Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War, we might see it removed sooner rather than later. The thing is, while players might want to see Checkmate removed, some teams are actually quite good at it. In particular, Dallas Empire and OpTic Chicago are among the best, and Checkmate being removed could become a cause for concern. Both teams have a 5-2 record on the map in Search and Destroy, despite having more recently been seen as poor Search teams. On the flip side, Mutineers are 2-5 on the map, while London Royal Ravens are both 0-2, as explained by Andrew ‘Enigma’ Campion on Reverse Sweep Round 11. While Checkmate isn’t as heavily disliked in Hardpoint, some pros do want to see it out of the Control rotation too. Again, both Dallas and OpTic have positive records on the map. Dallas are 4-0, while OpTic are 3-3, maintaining some level of dominance on the map. While it wouldn’t be completely detrimental to their hopes of winning Majors, losing Checkmate could be monumental to these two teams, especially as they seek to chase Atlanta FaZe at the top of the standings.

OpTic Chicago CDL 2021 preview: Reclaiming the throne in 2021 – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago CDL 2021 preview: Reclaiming the throne in 2021 Twitter: OpticCHIHeroics in and out of the game led the Green Wall back to its rightful home in 2021. With their ideal lineup now locked in, all eyes are on OpTic Chicago to rise to the top during the second Call of Duty League season. OpTic is now back where it belongs. After a year as the Chicago Huntsmen, a rebrand is in full effect as OpTic Chicago enters the league for the first time. While OpTic Gaming Los Angeles existed in 2020, and we saw T2P reunite under the Huntsmen, this is the real homecoming Call of Duty fans have been waiting for. OpTic’s popularity is unlike anything else in the scene, arguably eclipsing most fandoms in the greater esports industry. The passion at the peak of the OpTic dynasty cemented the brand as a powerhouse never to be taken lightly. Now, it’s back in full force. With T2P leading the way for two of the brightest young talents in competitive CoD, it’s a recipe for success in the league’s second season. OpTic Chicago CDL 2021 roster Gunning for the top spot In 2021, positioning themselves atop the standings is all-important for OpTic. Despite some high points throughout the year, 2020 didn’t go according to plan for the Huntsmen. Scump, Formal, and Envoy now have every chance to push past those limitations and exceed throughout an entire calendar year. Doubters may point towards the T2P duo as being past their prime. Scump and FormaL are closing in on two decades of combined experience after all. Yet the pair consistently shut down this line of thinking, often outstaying their younger competition when the lights are brightest. They both still have that drive to win and have proven they’re willing to put in the work when surrounded by the right teammates. With Envoy and Dashy backing them up, they have perhaps the most ideal blend of skill across any CDL team. Scump can still outgun just about anyone in crucial moments. FormaL is there as that veteran voice, treating the game in a far more serious manner than most of his rivals. Envoy is capable of calling the shots, setting up plays, and strategizing for a win. While Dashy is capable of turning any game on its head with a montage-worthy highlight. When every piece of the puzzle clicks just right, there could be no stopping this iteration OpTic. Dashy proving his superstar status One of the biggest focal points heading into the year is the reemergence of Dashy. After blowing the roof off of competitive CoD throughout Black Ops 4, he was soon stuck at OpTic Gaming LA. While the team wasn’t bad on paper, endless struggles kept Dashy from maintaining his spark. Much of the year was spent on the bench but now, he’s finally back where he wanted to be all along. H3CZ made sure to sign him to the Green Wall the moment the 2020 season came to an end. With that, Dashy now has a golden opportunity to recapture his previous MVP form. From his ideal teammates to a perfect setup in the HECZQUARTERS, there are no excuses for a mediocre year this time around. Already off to a hot start One thing that separates OpTic from most other teams this year is public accountability. While most teams stream their practice at the beginning of the year, almost all drop off in the following weeks. Hiding strategies and internal scuffles is always a priority in the CoD scene. For this lineup, however, they’ve been streaming their scrims right up to the beginning of the CDL season. We’ve seen them practicing against just about every team and doing well all the while. They absolutely dominate certain teams while other squads keep things close. The Chicago roster has even been getting looks in against WestR, the hottest amateur team from NA Challengers. Getting these reps and broadcasting their results for the world to see is a huge show of confidence. Results have been impressive all around and while scrims aren’t everything, it’s already translated into some early success. Their opening matchup in the Kickoff Classic was a 3-0 sweep over the Los Angeles Thieves. OpTic cruised through the Hardpoint, took over the S&D, and asserted their dominance on Control thanks to some filthy spawn camping from Envoy. Without much hassle facing the team early on, it’s clear they’re putting in the work to be a step ahead of the curve. Whether this success can be maintained throughout the year, we’ll just have to wait and see. All four players are aligned in settling for nothing but a championship in 2021. They’re in the prime position to do just that as the Green Wall backs them up for the first time since 2019.

OpTic Chicago can win CDL Champs if X-factor FormaL levels up – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago can win CDL Champs if X-factor FormaL levels up Activision / Call of Duty League If the Call of Duty League’s beloved OpTic Chicago squad want to win CDL Champs 2021, then Reverse Sweep’s Enigma knows who can be the clear difference-maker: legendary CoD AR, FormaL. Reverse Sweep’s Andrew ‘Enigma’ Campion dove into the statistics and gameplay behind OpTic’s 2021 season, culminating in the Stage 5 Major. The wildest event of the season helped OpTic hit their best finish of the year, third. But neither fans or OpTic were satisfied with bronze, driving Enigma to look at ways the roster can iron out its issues and hit championship form. One overriding link between seemingly all fixes is OpTic’s main AR, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper. And, if a championship is the goal, the CoD analyst believes it is most certainly attainable — as long as FormaL can return to form. FormaL key to OpTic’s CDL Champs hopes As Enigma explains, FormaL is markedly inconsistent based on matchups and modes. Obviously a gifted player, he somehow can’t get over a hump against the top-tier Toronto Ultra. An easy example: FormaL has just a 0.71 K/D against the Ultra on Search and Destroy. Past that, Enigma elaborates that Formal is, without a doubt, a “fantastic player,” but he needs to “pick it up.” Another statistical example would be Hardpoint in Stage 5, where FormaL was the only OpTic player to sit on a negative K/D: 0.98. Despite being a Main AR, the legendary player seems to have struggled to find his role in the slaying department. Meanwhile, FormaL has produced in Control throughout the past stage and this clearly correlated with OpTic success. While Chicago were above-average in HP (8-7) and SND (8-5), their Control record was a gnarly 7-2, proving the value FormaL brings when he’s in form. If OpTic are already a top-three team with FormaL playing below his standards, can you imagine what they could do if he hit final form? If not, Enigma can imagine for you: OpTic could win CDL Champs 2021.

OpTic Chicago can win CDL Champs if Scump fixes 1 issue – Dexerto
OpTic Chicago can win CDL Champs if Scump fixes 1 issue Call of Duty League Despite a disappointing finish at the Call of Duty League’s Stage 5 Major, Reverse Sweep’s Andrew ‘Enigma’ Campion still believes OpTic Chicago can win 2021’s CDL Champs. But, to do so, OpTic’s top player — Seth ‘Scump’ Abner — needs to improve in one key area: his respawn game. If you know of competitive Call of Duty at all, you know of Scump. The man known as “the King” is one of the game’s most legendary carries and has refused to slow down at 26 years old. On the season, Scump has enjoyed a formidable 1.02 K/D, but that number lifted to a 1.05 throughout Stage 5 and the Stage 5 Major. While OpTic came up short in the Major, with a third-place finish, it was still their highest placement of the season and a reason for OG fans to be intrigued by CDL Champs. Enigma was most certainly intrigued as well, as he puts OpTic as one of the four favorites to win it all. For the $2.5 million CDL Champs, Enigma believes that OpTic players like Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper need to step up. But he also suggests that, if Scump’s respawn game gets better, the team could be unbeatable. As you’ll hear Enigma candidly point out, FormaL needs to “step it up.” But Scump is the team’s star player and therefore the key to winning Champs. The Reverse Sweep analyst explained why Scump is so pivotal: “The star player? I’m going with Scump. He has been phenomenal. OpTic Chicago started the year so poorly in S&D, Scump has been brilliant for them and flipped it on its head. And if he can keep doing that, as well as pick it just a tiny bit in the respawns, he truly can lead this team and the Green Wall to another Champs ring.” In Stage 5, Scump’s S&D K/D was a nutty 1.15, while his K/Ds on Control and Hardpoint were both 1.04. Enigma has a point, as it’s clear that OpTic’s legendary carry has the potential to help his team win it all.

OpTic CEO H3CZ appears to confirm CDL YouTube exclusivity deal – Dexerto
OpTic CEO H3CZ appears to confirm CDL YouTube exclusivity deal YouTube: OpTic Audio Network/ActivisionOpTic Texas CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez may have let slip that the Call of Duty League’s YouTube exclusivity deal is happening, after much speculation from the community in recent months as matches were streamed on both YouTube and Twitch. In the opening three years of the Call of Duty League, matches were streamed exclusively on YouTube due to an agreement made between the platform and Activision Blizzard across all of their esports entities. For the 2022/23 season on Modern Warfare II, however, the CDL failed to negotiate an optimal deal with either Twitch or YouTube, and thus ended up streaming on both by the end of the season. Dexerto reported that the League could be looking to sign an exclusivity deal mid-season, but after mass fan backlash, plans were reverted and they went back to the drawing board. We then reported again in June that a two-year deal was on the cards, subject to the CDL owners’ meeting at CDL Champs in July, and H3CZ now might have let slip that it’s going ahead. H3CZ speaks on CDL to YouTube “I think the interest in Call of Duty just isn’t there, and next year would’ve been a different story but since we’re going back to YouTube, it’s not going to be,” he said on the OpTic podcast, before Seth ‘Scump’ Abner interjected with a “rumored!” He went on to say that “It hasn’t officially been released,” but many viewers are reading between the lines and assuming that H3CZ may have simply let slip that it will be happening. Hector, along with Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, a number of pros and much of the fanbase, have reiterated their frustrations with the idea of going back to YouTube, but it looks like that won’t change now. This is especially pertinent now considering the recent news that Overwatch League teams will vote to continue under a new deal, with a risk that the league is abandoned fully if the team owners decide to take the $6 termination fee. With the Activision Blizzard franchised esports leagues both struggling to thrive, a YouTube deal might bring in enough money to appease some teams, but fans and certain owners definitely won’t be happy.

OpTic Call of Duty coach TeePee offers advice on how to best become a pro player – Dexerto
OpTic Call of Duty coach TeePee offers advice on how to best become a pro player The Eavesdrop PodcastTeePee has been with OpTic as a coach since December 2017, but has just now sat down with H3CZ to give some insight, among other things, on the most effective way of improving and launching a career as an esport pro. Before retiring, TeePee enjoyed an extremely fruitful career as a CoD pro, winning the 2014 Call of Duty Championship with compLexity before ultimately landing at the helm of Team OpTic. In the latest episode of The Eavesdrop Podcast, TeePee spoke from experience of what players and teams value in a player as well as the best way of landing on a team’s roster. TeePee has seen it all in CoD’s esport scene and said the best way of getting better at the game is refusing to play against stagnate competition while letting oneself lose to improve. “It’s all about putting yourself in a situation where you’re practicing against people that are better than you,” TeePee said. “You need to get smacked in the face sometimes to realize how they’re beating you, why they’re beating you.” The former World Champ emphasized that amateurs should be playing the same kind of games that the pros play. That’s not to say the same game title, it means to play in the same type of tournaments, with the same stakes, and the same competitive environment. (Timestamp 31:19 for mobile users) “Find a dedicated squad, start on your GameBattles ladders, and get reps in on the actual game types that the pros play on. And then work your way up on those ladders, start those pay-to-enter tournaments. That’s how you play against better competition,” TeePee said. OpTic BobbyPoff responds to backlash for mocking streamer killing him in Warzone 2 – Dexerto
OpTic BobbyPoff responds to backlash for mocking streamer killing him in Warzone 2 Twitter: BobbyPoffWarzone 2 streamer OpTic BobbyPoff has apologized after a clip of him mocking smaller streamers for ruining their nuke attempts received considerable backlash from the CoD community. Update January 18, 04:15 EST / 09:15 GMT BobbyPoff has formally apologized for his comments. In his January 17 livestream, the streamer said he “took it way too far” and shouldn’t have criticized the streamers in the way that he did. “A lot of you guys know there’s a clip going around online,” he said, “Of me talking down on smaller streamers… There’s no excuse for my actions. I said some pretty f**ked up sh*t. I said some horrible sh*t, which was really unnecessary.” He described it as “not a good look” and concluded: “I’m really sorry for what I said.” The original article is as follows. Chasing down nukes dominates the current Warzone 2 streaming landscape. Squads need to win five consecutive matches and then complete the Champions Quest to accomplish the elusive feat. Content creators have made it their mission to secure as many nukes as possible. Nadeshot dedicated nine hours on stream hunting one, and a game crash caused him to go on an epic rant. Activision indefinitely delayed the release of stat tracking in WZ2, so grinding for nukes filled a much-needed void. Streamers, such as BobbyPoff, who successfully detonated a nuke without firing any bullets, have taken on nuke-related challenges to spice up the trend. Bobby called out Stellar for killing him while completing a challenge, and the confrontation detonated a different type of bomb. OpTic BobbyPoff blasts Ethan Stellar on Warzone 2 BobbyPoff was on a winning streak, and his team ran into another streamer group chasing a nuke as well. Bobby was attempting a pistol-only nuke challenge, and his team snapped over getting killed by a team not going for a challenge. “They use RPKs and Fennecs, and that’s all they can use. They have no skill, no talent, and no entertainment value. We are literally doing a challenge, that’s why people are watching it. Those guys are probably going to be fu**ing irrelevant forever.” Bobby continued his rant, stating, “my stream is probably going to get more views than he has ever had on his fu**ing channel.” Stellar posted the clip and responded, “no need to make it personal, we’re all just grinding our own content.” Poff issued an initial response and then commented again, “I’ll be the first to admit some of the stuff I said was over the line. Hour 13 of my stream going for a nuke using a pistol, so the passion was flowing. That’s not an excuse for offending smaller streamers, but the way this whole thing is framed as a personal attack is weird to me.” Warzone 2 community members offered words of encouragement to Stellar after the ordeal.

OpTic BigTymeR and Rambo discuss competing at CWL Vegas – Dexerto
OpTic BigTymeR and Rambo discuss competing at CWL Vegas Last year’s Call of Duty: WWII brought the return of lots of former professional players to the scene, and Black Ops 4 may have given OpTic’s Will ‘BigTymeR’ Johnson the “itch” to compete again. It has been over four years since BigTymeR last competed in professional Call of Duty, retiring during the Call of Duty: Ghosts season. His legacy is still intact however, known as one of the all time greats, winning nine championships in his some five years competing, including the 2011 COD XP with OpTic Gaming, netting $400,000. His long time teammate, Ray ‘Rambo’ Lussier, now a game designer with CoD developer Sledgehammer Games, played alongside BigT for much of their early careers, winning multiple tournaments together. More: Dr DisRespect confidently guarantees a win in next Blackout match and immediately dies right after – And it sounds like the pair could be considering a return, with the open event at CWL Vegas on the horizon. During a recent live stream, BigTymeR said he had the “itch”, and really wanted to beat some people. “We going to Vegas or what? Let’s do this shit, I’m ready.” BigTymeR says. Rambo points out that they have never attended an open event and not made it out to the championship bracket, and BigTymeR is confident they could keep that run going. As Rambo points out however, it’s not just about them, as they would need three other “really good players” in order to have a chance to compete, with the move to 5v5 making a stacked roster even more important. CWL Vegas takes place on December 7-9, so if BigTymeR and Rambo are serious about competing, they only have around a month to put a squad together, although with their connections in the scene they probably could.

OpTic and 100 Thieves set up CWL London winner bracket final – Day one recap – Dexerto
OpTic and 100 Thieves set up CWL London winner bracket final – Day one recap The second day of CWL London 2019 has come to a dramatic close with the winner bracket final confirmed, and only four teams left in the loser bracket. Saturday May 4 saw incredible storylines develop with a huge dose of upsets, early exits, drama, and of course, a raucous UK crowd chanting at the top of their voices. The second day of the $325,000 event started with all 16 pro teams still in the competition, but gradually big names were picked off one by one until only a handful remained. 100 Thieves was the first team to book their spot in the Winner Bracket final with a tense matchup against the ever improving, Gen.G. The 3-2 game required a reverse sweep from Enable’s 100T squad, but after their comfortable 3-0 win over eUnited earlier in the day, their experience prevailed in the final SnD, 6-4. OpTic Gaming entered Saturday with a passion that has been missing for the last couple of months, and they showed they meant business with a hot 3-0 over FaZe Clan to kick their day off. After somewhat of a wait, they took to the mainstage around 8pm to face off against the plucky Spanish team of Heretics. Despite the Spaniards best attempts, OpTic and their incredibly vocal supporters ensured that there was only going to be one result, and the Green Wall took the game 3-0. The result sets up a rematch of OpTic vs 100 Thieves in the winner bracket final, and one that has all the hallmarks of a thriller. On the other side of the loser bracket we have Aches’ Team Envy who have made something of a quiet run to Championship Sunday, taking down Enigma6, Splyce and finally Luminosity Gaming, to setup a game with Gen.G.

OpTic, 100T, eUnited & more advance to Black Ops 4’s NA 2K Quarter-final – Dexerto
OpTic, 100T, eUnited & more advance to Black Ops 4’s NA 2K Quarter-final Star power is still alive and well in the first CWL 2K tournament of Black Ops 4. Unlike the EU region that saw league teams get upset, the NA 2K is still loaded with big time organizations heading into the quarterfinals. It was not smooth sailing for everyone though, Team EnVy, Luminosity Gaming and FaZe Clan were eliminated earlier than expected. 100 Thieves has lived up to the hype of their roster moves so far and dominated their way to the quarter-finals, but will get their first real test against G2 next. Their potential rivals OpTic Gaming have also cruised, winning every map they have played and demonstrating they are also a class above most 2K opponents. New look, multi-region Splyce had a convincing 3-0 over Enigma 6 to set up an intriguing QF match with Spacely, Maux and crew. NA circuit players FASTBALLA and Profeezy upset FaZe Clan and will have another chance to take down a league team when they meet eUnited. They are currently orgless, but a few more wins could give teams something to think about before CWL Las Vegas. Another team on the hunt for representation is Team Phantomz, who spoiled a QF match between OpTic and Luminosity by upsetting LG in Round 7. They can turn even more heads against OpTic in the next round. Black Ops 4 NA CWL 2K Quarter-finals The matches will begin on Monday, November 5 at 8 PM EST. QF 1: 100 Thieves vs G2 QF 2: Team Spacely vs Splyce QF 3: eUnited vs Team FASTBALLA QF 4: OpTic Gaming vs Team Phantomz

Operation Spectre Rising in Blackout – map changes, new game modes, Shadow Blade, and more – Dexerto
Operation Spectre Rising in Blackout – map changes, new game modes, Shadow Blade, and more The brand new Operation Spectre Rising has been released in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it’s introduced a flurry of new content and major changes in the Blackout battle royale mode. On April 29, Treyarch officially unveiled Operation Spectre Rising, the fourth Operation content stream for Black Ops 4, which was released April 30 on the PlayStation 4. As with the previous Operations, Spectre Rising comes with a lot of new content, especially for Blackout, all of which we’ve broken down for you below. Map changes in Operation Spectre Rising Perhaps the biggest change introduced in Operation Spectre Rising is the flooding of the Blackout map, as the result of Hydro Dam having been sabotaged and cracked open. With the map now flooded, water-based vehicles are able to traverse into places they previously wouldn’t be able to, and land-based vehicles may find their reach of access a lot more limited. Areas of the map that have been flooded include: Factory – Cargo Docks – Hijacked – The farm new Firing Range – Cargo Docks – Another change to the map has seen the Hijacked boat now moved a little farther north of its original location, “allowing players on the luxurious yacht to engage with opponents at Construction Site.” In addition, the Alcatraz map has been improved in terms of both its layout and gameplay flow. New game modes in Operation Spectre Rising The brand new Operation will introduce two new game modes in Blackout – Bounty Hunter and Ground War. In Bounty Hunter, players who are able to find the “Shadow Blade,” will turn into the new Specialist ‘Spectre,’ giving them increased movement speed and the ability to see digital footprints of enemies. An interesting aspect of this mode is that players who equip the Shadow Blade get to play in third person mode, which is the first time that actual gameplay in Blackout will be in third person outside of using emotes. The other new mode, Ground War, will feature two teams of 50 players each going at it on a massive scale, in what is being described as “pure chaos.” It appears that Ground War will not be available right when Operation Spectre Rising launches, but is expected to be coming soon. New playable characters Operation Spectre Rising will introduce six new playable characters into Blackout, all of whom come from some point within the Black Ops universe. Blackjack, the Black Market mercenary trader – Sarah Hall, Black Ops III’s CORVUS-infected intelligence expert – Sergei, Reznov’s fellow Vorkuta inmate – Misty, from the Zombies Victis crew – David Mason, the protagonist of Call of Duty®: Black Ops II – Uncle Frank, an older Sgt. Woods from Black Ops II. – New Contraband weapons Operation Spectre Rising has added three new weapons to both Multiplayer and Blackout – Nifo’Oti melee weapon, Ballistic Knife, and Tigershark Light Machine Gun. These weapon should be available to be found throughout the Blackout map, as opposed to Multiplayer, which requires players to unlock them first in the Black Market. Three new weapons coming to #BlackOps4 part of Operation Spectre Rising: *Ballistic Knife *Tigershark LMG *Nifo’oti Club Melee WeaponMore details:https://t.co/XOZjdvDinC pic.twitter.com/CB2nkMtpI9 — Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) April 29, 2019 For more in-depth details about all of the new content coming to Blackout in Operation Rising Spectre, you can check out the Treyarch’s official announcement post. The new Operation went live on April 30, but keep in mind that it’s only available on the PS4 at first, as per Sony’s exclusivity deal with Activision, and should go live on the Xbox One and PC a week later.

OP Warzone SMG with fastest TTK is becoming a fan-favorite – Dexerto
OP Warzone SMG with fastest TTK is becoming a fan-favorite ActivisionWarzone players have got a new “go-to” SMG after recent buffs were dished out, with many calling it “OP” because of its TTK. With Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 just around the corner, the clock is ticking on the current state of Warzone. The new game will bring along a new map, a host of new weapons, and that’ll mean a total meta shift. Before we get there, however, the Warzone and MW2 devs have continued to dish out some changes to the current arsenal of weapons. They recently nerfed the deadly Lockwood 300, TR-76 Geist, and Kastov 762 again, shaking up the meta just a little bit. Some players have switched back to running Assault Rifles as their primary weapons, including the M4 and the ISO Hemlock. However, if you want the best TTK game in the game, you have to go to Bas-P. ‘OP’ Bas-P loadout dominates in Warzone Season 6 That’s right, the Bas-P had previously been on the fringes of the meta as just a handful of players believed in it. However, following the recent changes, it’s now one of the top dogs. Some players have stated it is their new “go-to” weapon after the recent nerfs and that the SMG is “OP” because of its TTK. That TTK number is around 218ms in fights between 20 meters. It obviously shoots up a fair bit after that, but SMGs aren’t meant to be used really beyond that range. Most of those will be running TrueGameData’s setup, which takes advantage of the 4’ Thunderfire Barrel, Bruen Flash v4 Stock, and 50-round drum mag. Barrel: 4’ Thunderfire – Laser: 1mW Quick Fire Laser – Optic: Slimline Pro – Stock: Bruen Flash V4 – Magazine: 50-round drum mag – “Damage doesn’t drop until 20 some meters it’s def the go-to SMG,” stated one happy adopter of the Bas-P. “Been using it forever, my time is now,” added a long-time fan. That loadout is different from the one that Warzone guru Metaphor had previously highlighted, which focuses more on building the SMG around the 9mm Hollow Point rounds. However, they both have the same outcome – death and destruction in Warzone.

“OP” Warzone shotgun is impossible for PC players to counter – Dexerto
“OP” Warzone shotgun is impossible for PC players to counter ActivisionWarzone expert Metaphor has highlighted an “OP” shotgun loadout in Warzone that makes it impossible for keyboard and mouse users to compete with those players using a controller. Pretty much every weapon type has had its shine in Warzone over the last few years, but shotguns have always been quite problematic. The early days of Verdansk had the explosive Dragon’s Breath ammunition, and, more recently, there has been the Lockwood 300 running the show. The devs have stepped in whenever the close-quarters weapons get out of hand and need their power reigning back in, but they may have a new issue to contend with. On January 29, Warzone guru JGOD highlighted the fact that shotguns can have “cleaner ironsights” with the Tac-Stance mechanic in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, and also increases their mobility, making them even more “OP” than normal. Best Haymaker loadout for Warzone in Modern Warfare 3 Well, one of Warzone’s most successful solo players – Metaphor – has now outlined a loadout that takes advantage of JGOD’s findings. “He (JGOD) is right, man. If you shoot somebody on keyboard, they simply cannot fight back. You’re probably going to have different results if you shoot somebody on ‘roller,” the Warzone expert said, calling the shotguns “OP” right now, also noting that they’re “taking over” once again. Every shotgun benefits from the Tac-Stance creating the better ironsights, but Metaphot opts for the Haymaker with Dragon’s Breath to really create some headaches. Muzzle: Bryson Improved choke – Barrel: Imperator long barrel – Laser: FTAC Grimline Laser – Ammunition: 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath – Stock: No Stock mod – As the YouTuber noted, shotguns have definitely been on the rise again over the last few days, but they’re not as rampant in lobbies as they have been previously. If you have all the attachments to recreate Metaphor’s loadout, you may as well give it a go because, before long, it’ll probably be nerfed. So, have your fun.

“OP” Warzone AR is perfect for dominating Urzikstan in Season 2 – Dexerto
“OP” Warzone AR is perfect for dominating Urzikstan in Season 2 ActivisionWarzone expert Metaphor has highlighted an “OP” assault rifle that should be taking the battle royale by storm but is being overlooked by many players. At times, the Warzone meta has been pretty stale – dominated by one or two guns and not allowing much room for anything else to thrive. Though, things have been a little different so far with Modern Warfare 3’s integration. Across Season 1, Season 1 Reloaed, and now Season 2, many players and stats gurus have praised the devs for putting the meta in a more diverse position than ever before. This has allowed some previously under-the-radar weapons, such as the Striker 9, SVA 545, and MTZ-762, to thrive. They aren’t the only ones living their best lives at the minute, however, as Metaphor – who has the most kills of any Warzone player in the world – has highlighted a new assault rifle. Metaphor’s best BP50 loadout for Warzone Season 2 The assault rifle in question is the BP50, which was only added in Season 2 but hasn’t shot to the top of the popularity charts just yet. However, the Warzone expert believes that it is “OP” and should be used by more players. “I think this thing is an insane sniper support. The range you get on this thing is actually insane. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets nerfed really because it is just that OP and not many people are using it, man,” the YouTuber said, comparing it to how it took a while for players to pick up the RAM-7. In fact, Metaphor noted that it may be “more fun” to use than the RAM-7 thanks to the BP50’s strafe speed which is helped out by the Moat-40 Stock and CCG-TAC tape rear grip. Barrel: LHT-200 Barrel – Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop – Magazine: 45-round mags – Rear Grip: CCG-TAC Tape – Stock: Moat-40 Stock – As noted, the BP50 was only added in the recent Season 2 update and can be unlocked through the battle pass. Just get to Sector B7 and the new Assault Rifle will be yours to use. If you haven’t unlocked it already, and are maybe waiting for it to become an Armory Unlock, you’ll want to get a move on. If Metaphor is right, and he usually is, it’ll be nerfed long before than and you’ll have missed out.

Warzone 2 LMG is still “OP” as Season 2 nerf didn’t work – Dexerto
Warzone 2 LMG is still “OP” as Season 2 nerf didn’t work ActivisionThere’s an “OP” LMG in Warzone 2 that has just started to slide off the radar a little bit after it’s supposed nerf. Though, it doesn’t seem like anything has changed. Over the last few weeks, the meta in Warzone 2 has undergone a pretty big shake-up, with some of the previously dominant weapons being nerfed into the ground. The likes of the RPK and Fennec had stood atop the pick rate charts for some time, but players had been left scrambling to find replacements after their nerfs. Now, the ISO Hemlock and Sakin MG have inherited those spots, but not everyone is a fan of them. That’s the case for YouTuber Metaphor, who has been digging to find alternative options, especially in the LMG category. And, well, he’s seemingly found one that was supposed to have been nerfed but remains “OP” in-game. Best Raal MG loadout for Warzone 2 In his April 11 video, the Warzone 2 guru highlighted the Raal LMG as a weapon that players may want to pick up again, especially if they’re playing on Ashika Island. “I think the Raal might actually be a top-tier meta LMG right now, this gun is insane the way that it kills people,” he said. “They said they nerfed it man but I think they lied. This thing doesn’t feel any different. This thing can insta-kill.” The build is slightly different from what helped the Raal dominate previously, with the 26.5’ Demo Field Pro Barrel, SA Side Grip, and Cronen Mini Pro sight all taking the spots of other attachments. Barrel: 26.5’ Demo Field Pro Barrel – Muzzle: Nilsound 90 – Underbarrel: SA Side Grip – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip – As noted, the Raal has been on the fringes of the meta since its supposed nerf, with WZRanked having it as the 18th most-used gun currently. That will likely change if players come around to Metaphor’s thinking. So, give it a try again.

OP Warzone 2 gulag bug gives players massive advantage in 1v1 – Dexerto
OP Warzone 2 gulag bug gives players massive advantage in 1v1 ActivisonA Warzone 2 gulag bug is allowing players to skip the countdown timer and start running toward their opponent before the 1v1 has officially started. While mastering recoil patterns and learning how to outplay opponents with movement is difficult in Warzone 2, it’s the gulag that the majority of players struggle with most. Although the goal of eliminating your foe in a 1v1 appears to be a simple task at first, the pressure of the arena can lead a lot of competitors to make mistakes and miss their shots. As a result, it’s vital the gulag is fair and a level playing field for both challengers so the true victor can earn their freedom. Unfortunately, an OP bug is disturbing the balance of the gulag and giving certain players a huge advantage over their opponents. Warzone 2 bug is ruining the balance of gulag 1v1s Taking to the CODWarzone subreddit, user patdv posted a clip of them taking on an opponent in the gulag after being eliminated on Al Mazrah. Although the 1v1 looked normal at first, patdv quickly realized that their foe was running towards them before the countdown timer had finished. Luckily, the red outline that’s present at the start of a duel showed their exact position, but the opponent did have around five seconds where patdv was unable to move. In the end, the enemy didn’t make the most of their unfair advantage and patdv dispatched them with ease. While the glitch didn’t result in an unfair win in the clip above, this bug certainly has the potential to cause a massive amount of frustration. The gulag is meant to be a completely level playing field to determine the most skilled player in a 1v1, so any problems with this ruin the competitive integrity of matches. Let’s hope the devs can identify the issue as quickly as possible and roll to a fix to solve this for good.

“OP” Warzone 2 attachment makes SMGs dominate more than ever – Dexerto
“OP” Warzone 2 attachment makes SMGs dominate more than ever ActivisionA Warzone 2 expert has revealed an attachment that everyone needs to use on SMGs, as it makes them even more “OP” than usual. While some Call of Duty players would rather have some of the classic Create a Class options back, Warzone 2 has allowed them to customize their weapons in more ways than ever before. The additional gun tuning lets you really hone in on one specific use for your gun, as you can go all out on nullifying recoil, or sacrificing control for the best possible fire rate and damage dealing. To get the best possible results, you have got to do a bit of experimenting with attachments, just to see what fits you best. If you’re a dedicated SMG player, you might want to scrap your favorite magazine or ammunition attachment though, as there is an underrated one that makes the weapons even more “OP”. Warzone 2 attachment makes SMGs even more “OP” than normal Warzone YouTuber Metaphor highlighted the simple switch-up in his March 28 video, focusing on the popular Vaznev 9K – even though the attachment can be used on any SMG. The attachment in question is the Overpressured Rounds. “What this does is it actually lets you juice this out on the tunings for max bullet velocity and damage range and you actually don’t even feel the side effects of losing the recoil,” he said. “You should be running this on every SMG.” Metaphor noted that the attachment is “OP” and that he’s been having plenty of success when using it, constantly racking up high-kill games since making the switch. Timestamp of 0:30 The attachment doesn’t have any listed ‘cons’ when you select it, and does have the bonus of an additional flinch when a bullet hits its target. Of course, if it gets too out of hand, the devs might have to step in and make a change. But, for now, the SMGs are back in the spotlight and its worth trying.

OpTic’s Scump takes another shot at eUnited during scrim stream – Dexerto
OpTic’s Scump takes another shot at eUnited during scrim stream OpTic’s Scump is still poking fun at eUnited, following the teams’ savage back-and-forth on Twitter around Halloween. Scump was in the midst of a livestreamed scrimmage on November 10 when he jokingly referenced eUnited’s request to replay a map in last week’s 2K, after eUnited player Arcitys was lagged out in the middle of a game against OpTic. “Yeah, let’s do the eUnited,” Scump said. “Play until something goes wrong, and then win-win.” This comment incited a wave of good-humored laughter from his team. This isn’t the first time Scump has roasted eUnited, either; he and the org got into it on Halloween, after eUnited Tweeted a picture of their ‘costume’ (which was just their logo, painted in OpTic’s colors). Scump responded to their ‘costume’ with a Tweet comparing their LAN wins to an invisible ghost, then followed up by calling the team’s post a ‘lame, cheap shot.’ “I’d be embarrassed to rep that child shit,” he said in response to eUnited’s Clayster, who had given his own, sarcastic take on the interaction. more recent feud on November 9, where the vice-president of OpTic’s parent company, Jacob ‘Maelk’ Toft-Andersen, threw major shade at eUnited’s popularity. “He’s so used to eUnited being just as popular in every other title as they are in CoD,” Maelk said of eUnited’s Clayster. While Scump’s comment during his stream was likely a mere lighthearted jab, it looks like the rivalry between the two organizations is far from over.

OpTic’s Scump shares spot-on impression of CWL caster Benson – Dexerto
OpTic’s Scump shares spot-on impression of CWL caster Benson OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty squad is filled with incredible talents that provide insane plays and close games, but one member demonstrated an impeccable impersonation that could match his talent on LAN. By taking first place at CWL Las Vegas in December, OpTic Gaming locked their spot in the upcoming Pro League, leaving a bit of room for some light-hearted joking before entering a scrim with other pros. OpTic’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner was queuing up with a cohort of friends when a banter filled chat unleashed and impersonation from Scump on the longtime Call of Duty caster Ben ‘Benson’ Bowe. Just before the a lobby of pros were about to get into a scrim, the party got on the topic of CWL Vegas, which led to Scump sharing his uncanny impersonation of Benson during the tournament’s hypest moment. “Wait, yeah Benson was like ‘karma, KArma, KARMA,’” Scump said with a slight accent to cap off the impersonation. Scump was referring to a previous shoutcast by Benson in which the English caster was hyped by OpTic’s Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow ridiculous hold against eUnited in Las Vegas. The parody was met with thunderous laughter from a lobby that included 100T’s Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, OpTic’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and more. After the lobby had simmered down, Scump was getting praise for the “spot on” rendition of the popular shoutcaster. OpTic’s Scump reveals the process for how CoD pros decide on Gentlemen’s Agreements – Dexerto
OpTic’s Scump reveals the process for how CoD pros decide on Gentlemen’s Agreements OpTic Gaming Call of Duty team captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has revealed some insight as to how Gentlemen’s Agreements are organized in the pro scene. While technically not allowed by the CoD World League, GA’s are a crucial aspect of every competitive season, as pro players and teams come together to agree not to use certain weapons, items, and, in this case of Black Ops 4, specialists. “Why do they do it? Just to try and make the game more competitive,” Scump explained. “And take out all of the cheesy stuff.” While its common knowledge that there are numerous GA’s forged during each season, the exact process for how they come to be is not often talked about. In an answer to a question posed to him during a live-stream, Scump explained that when a pro player or players notice something they don’t like about a certain weapon or item, they reach out to the rest of the pro scene and propose that it gets banned via GA. This is normally done via group DM on Twitter, at which point each team then internally discusses the implications of the GA and has their team captain vote on whether to agree to the GA or not. Several pro players are known for proposing GAs quickly and often after a new game is released, especially Luminosity Gaming’s Slacked and 100 Thieves’ SlasheR, the latter of whom has been coming under criticism lately for certain GAs. Since Scump doesn’t go into more detail, it would be interesting to know how many teams are represented in these GA discussions and votes, especially since these agreements tend to resound to the rest of the competitive scene. With there being no official list, it’s not always clear which items and weapons have been banned via GA, especially since GAs often change throughout the course of a season, often following a major update or patch.

OpTic’s Scump and Crimsix debate who was the best Black Ops 2 player – Dexerto
OpTic’s Scump and Crimsix debate who was the best Black Ops 2 player Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner have been teammates on OpTic Gaming for just over four years, but long time fans will know they were once fierce opponents. While Scump has been a member of OpTic Gaming for a long time, back in 2013, Crimsix played for one of the Greenwall’s greatest rivals, compLexity. The two teams waged war throughout the Black Ops 2 season with compLexity dominating the end of the year, including an infamous Search and Destroy comeback against OpTic when they were 5-0 down. Abner and Porter are on good terms now that they team together, but that wasn’t always the case, with Twitter user bmxjt76 posting an old clip of the pair playing against each other, which shows Crimsix killing Scump in a scrim match and take aim at the OpTic members nickname, saying: “You’re awful dude, you’re fucking awful. The King? Yeah, my ass.” While the pair found the clip funny, it did kick off a friendly debate between the pair, as both men believe that they were the best Black Ops 2 player. Read More: SpaceLy leaks new G2 Call of Duty roster as rumors of Pittsburgh Knights changes intensify – “You were not as good as me at this video game,” tweeted Abner to Porter, who simply replied with a GIF that stated: “LOL.” Not willing to concede victory to Crimsix, Scump tweeted a picture of Black Ops 2 map Aftermath, where he managed to find three kills in the final round of an SnD map to knock compLexity out of the Call of Duty World Championships. In retaliation, Porter replied with an image of the map Express, where OpTic lost six rounds straight after taking a 5-0 lead to lose the finals of the MLG Fall Invitational to their rivals. While neither player would admit that the other was the better Black Ops 2 player, it’s safe to say Porter’s compLexity squad found more success on the title, winning seven titles over the course of the season. Thankfully for fans of the Green Wall, Crimsix now wears the legendary OpTic jersey beside Scump, and two have formed a lethal partnership that helped them secure the organization’s first Call of Duty World Championship, although even Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant can’t agree on who is better!

OpTic’s H3CZ and compLexity’s Jason Lake discuss where they’d locate their Call of Duty franchises – Dexerto
OpTic’s H3CZ and compLexity’s Jason Lake discuss where they’d locate their Call of Duty franchises Esports is a flourishing sector and veterans of the industry sat down to discuss where their teams would settle in Call of Duty as the swirling rumor of franchising gains more traction as the new year approaches. As Activision looks to foster a more stable competitive scene surrounding its esports fixtures, big clubs are already in the mix to find the best opportunity to franchise in one of esports more exciting titles. Call of Duty has a rich history of tournaments and competitions, and legendary organization owners Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez of OpTic Gaming and Jason Lake from compLexity sat down to discuss, among other things, where the teams would take their CoD brands in 2019. Lake discussed his organizations reintroduction into the Call of Duty space on H3CZ’s The Eavesdrop Podcast, and gave his thoughts on compLexity’s next step to reviving its CoD presence. “CompLexity would definitely like to be back in [to Call of Duty] if the opportunity is right,” Lake said. “Like, OpTic’s going to get a franchise, Envy and [Envy Founder and CEO Mike Rufail] are going to get a franchise, as they should. So like, from a business perspective, is it smart for us to get it and have three franchises in Dallas.” Although the idea of compLexity setting up shop in Dallas might not be in the cards, Lake did give a peek into the ideas the organization are currently humoring outside of the Dallas area. “Do we look at another region and be like ‘Hey, this would be a good place to kind of start going international’ and expand Call of Duty in that direction,” Lake said. (Timestamp for mobile users is around 42:52) Call of Duty holds a special place for long-time industry figures and landing a franchised position for the title will undoubtedly be a coveted goal for owners around the scene. OpTic’s Dashy has his own theory on why Nadeshot is spending a week in Texas – Dexerto
OpTic’s Dashy has his own theory on why Nadeshot is spending a week in Texas OpTic Gaming star Brandon “Dashy” Otell has come up with his own theory to explain why 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has came to visit OpTic Gaming in Texas. Haag is visiting OpTic Gaming to spend time with Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, who Nadeshot both spent a large period of time with as teammates back when he was a member of the famous esports organization. Otell, however, pretended that he believes that Nadeshot has an ulterior motive to his visit while he was streaming on Twitch. After finding out that Nadeshot and Scump had went out drinking, Dashy joked with his teammate that Haag had taken him “off the grind.” Abner quipped back, saying: “Dude, I’m so drunk that I can’t even shoot straight!” “He’s sabotaging bro, he’s actually on a sabotage mission,” laughed Dashy. “He’s using that as an excuse. Yo stream, I just caught that guy! No way he’s serious, taking my teammate off the grind!” While Dashy may have pretended that he was mad at Nadeshot for taking Scump away from his grind, he won’t be mad at the way OpTic’s Black Ops 4 season has started, winning the first CWL 2K in dominant fashion without dropping a single map. Abner has also seen massive success on Twitch since the launch of Black Ops 4, including getting hosted by Ninja and hitting 100,000 concurrent viewers during the final stages of the 2K tournament on Monday, November 5. OpTic’s Crimsix hits incredible snipe in Black Ops 4 while wearing goggles – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix hits incredible snipe in Black Ops 4 while wearing goggles OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter is known for accomplishing many things in his illustrious Call of Duty pro career, and now hitting a triple-collateral snipe while wearing snowboarding goggles can be added to that list. The 33x tournament champion decided we was feeling a bit chilly today so he pulled out a pair of snowboarding goggles and loaded into a public match on Black Ops 4. Choosing a class with a sniper rifle and the Ruin Specialist, his plan was to start off the game with an insane trick-shot using the Grapple Gun. His initial attempt failed, however, as we was able to get to the position he wanted but could not hit the shot and landed awkwardly in the middle of the map. However, he was able to recover spectacularly and managed to eliminate three enemy players with a single shot of his sniper rifle, ironically making a better play that what he had first intended. It’s hard not to laugh at this whole sequence of events, especially when Crimsix got very excited and started yelling “What the fuck?! What?! What the hell was that?!” He tweeted it out with maybe the best and most appropriate caption for the clip, which read: “Shredding on and off the mountain.” The shot was so good that even popular CoD YouTuber and prominent sniper Pamaj gave it his blessing and called it “fucking clean” and “nasty.”

OpTic’s Crimsix explains why Karma is both the best and worst teammate – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix explains why Karma is both the best and worst teammate OpTic Gaming vet Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has discussed who the ‘best teammate’ he ever had is, but his answer might not be quite what you expect. Having competed at the top level of Call of Duty esports for almost ten years, you might expect Crimsix to have had an endless list of teammates, but he is one of the few long time players to have played alongside only a select number. In fact, Crimsix has only really been part of three teams throughout his career – compLexity, Evil Geniuses and of course, OpTic Gaming. While competing, he has rarely been seen without at least one of two players by his side, Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow. In the latest episode of ‘600 Seconds’ with OpTic founder Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez, Crimsix was asked to pick his best teammate (excluding Scump, due to how long they had played together). Unsurprisingly, he picked Karma – but it wasn’t straight forward. Crimsix explains, “Not including Seth? Damon – in a good mood.” This distinction is important, as Porter stated that Karma in a bad mood is “quiet, he doesn’t talk – but I think Damon in a good mood, is the best teammate ever.” Having played together on compLexity, Evil Geniuses and now OpTic, and winning two world championships together, the Crimsix and Karma duo is one of the most dominant in all of CoD esports. Despite having dropped Karma from the roster during the WWII season, the pair have been reunited for the Black Ops 4 season, and already got back to winning ways at CWL Vegas, where Crimsix thanked him for returning to the roster, saying “we’re nothing without you.”

OpTic’s Crimsix apparently kicked out of bar after bizarre altercation – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix apparently kicked out of bar after bizarre altercation Call of Duty and a core member of OpTic Gaming’s roster, encountered the strange set of altercations during a night out. He posted on social media to explain the incident to his following, after a bizarre event unfolded when he tried to use the bathroom in a local bar. Crimsix explained to his fans that he was “kicked out” after not tipping the restroom attendant working there, as he only briefly used the facilities to blow his nose, stating: “the bathroom guy […] didn’t do anything” He then went on to explain how the bouncer quickly got involved after overhearing the situation by blocking the door closed, stopping Crimsix from leaving until he tipped the restroom attendant. Crimsix stated that he refused to pay as he “didn’t even have any cash” at the time, and was later denied re-entry to the bar by the same bouncer, apparently shoving the pro player away and telling him “Goodnight.” Even have any cash on me. Finally he let me out after causing a scene. I then went outside a little bit later, and as I try to come back in, he grabs me and literally says goodnight as he shoved me out of the bar. Cops saw it all, didn’t give a fuck. — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) March 23, 2019 Crimsix reflected on the situation, explaining what he should’ve done to avoid the incident entirely by getting the attendant to throw away his used tissue for him before tipping him a single dollar. I should’ve given him my used tissue for him to throw it away then tip him $1 bunch of fucking scammers. — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) March 23, 2019 It is unclear which bar this took place in, but many fans and friends of Crimsix were mocking the bar for its ‘hospitality’ and how the situation unfolded for the Call of Duty pro player. He later confirmed that he planned to return to the establishment to make a formal complaint.

OpTic’s CouRage reveals why he left casting Call of Duty to stream full-time – Dexerto
OpTic’s CouRage reveals why he left casting Call of Duty to stream full-time OpTic Gaming streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop opened up on Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez’s ‘The Eavesdrop Podcast’ about some of the major reasons why he decided to stop casting Call of Duty and switch to streaming full-time. CouRage was one of Call of Duty’s most prolific voices when he decided to step away from the scene to become a full-time streamer in early 2018. Looking back on his career as a caster on H3CZ’s new podcast, CouRage talked in-depth about the long thought process that eventually led to him making the jump to stream full time. As CouRage was recounting his career up to this point, he talked about how he came to the realization that he wanted to stream full-time. Read More: Dr DisRespect confident guarantees a win in next Blackout match and immediately dies right after – “I need to try to go full-time at some point with this. When the time comes,” CouRage recalled. “That always was in the back of my head festering, from 2016 all the way to way I finally made the jump earlier this year.” Before making that jump, CouRage continued casting and ended up rising the ranks to be part of the top casting duo along with Clint ‘Maven’ Evans. It was during the early stages of the WWII season when his outlook on casting began to change, though. “The CoD: WWII season was just stupidly long,” CouRage said about the last season of the CWL. “The second week, I sat with my partner and was like, ‘I’m about to do this for the next six months and I’m already sick of Ardennes Forest CTF and I have to see that 150,000 more times.” Read More: OpTic’s Scump reveals pictures of his new house while it was still in the building process – Soon after CouRage came to this realization about the WWII season which ran from December 2017 to August 2018, he received a follow-up call from OpTic about becoming a full-time streamer for the organization. Since CouRage and OpTic had already been in talks prior to this conversation, the offer from OpTic was good enough for CouRage to step away from the CWL and start streaming full-time. The move has been a very profitable and successful one for CouRage as he has risen the ranks as a popular streamer, even getting a $70K donation for winning a game of Fortnite on stream. OpTic Hitch recounts hilarious story of Scump and FormaL’s time in Paris – Dexerto
OpTic Hitch recounts hilarious story of Scump and FormaL’s time in Paris OpTic Gaming’s Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards has been creating content for the popular esports organization for years, meaning it’s no surprise for him to have plenty of hilarious stories to tell about the team. In one such story, Hitch recounts the time he and former OpTic member Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper were having a tough time getting Seth ‘Scump’ Abner ready for a flight back home from Paris. After a night out filled with plenty of drinking, Scump was in a completely debilitated state, causing FormaL to reach out to Hitch for help. Hitch found Scump wide-eyed and apparently asleep on the bathroom floor. “I open the bathroom door and it hits Seth’s head because he’s lying on the bathroom floor,” Hitch said. “He’s asleep in the bathroom eyes wide open. If he wasn’t snoring, I would’ve thought he was dead.” After Hitch’s failed attempt to help his teammate, it took a bellowing call from OpTic Gaming’s owner and CEO, Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez to revitalize a hungover Scump. Hitch is unclear about what H3CZ did, but moments later in the hotel lobby, a visibly annoyed H3CZ is walking in front of a seemingly chipper and gathered Scump. The entire time leading up to their flight Scump remembers annoying FormaL at a near-constant rate by getting in his face while saying “U-S-and A” with both hands signaling the peace-sign. “I kept doing that over and over and over,” Scump said. “Matt literally hated me. He hated me!” Hitch goes on to speculate if former teammate FormaL would recount that story in good humor or if that was the moment that started his exit from the team. “I wonder if Matt laughs about in now, or if that was like ‘the start,’” Hitch said while signaling a downward-trajectory with his hand. “I’m sure he’ll laugh about it one day. He will. He will,” OpTic Gaming is preparing for the first CWL event of the Black Ops 4 season in Las Vegas from December 7-9. OpTic Gaming’s Scump Shares His Plans for Streaming Black Ops 4 Scrims and Moving to Texas – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming’s Scump Shares His Plans for Streaming Black Ops 4 Scrims and Moving to Texas OpTic Gaming’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has made it clear that he intends to stream during Black Ops 4, whether his teammates like it or not. The 2017 Call of Duty world champion made his highly anticipated return to Twitch for the release of the Blackout battle royale beta and one of the most common questions throughout the stream was whether he would return to doing so regularly next season. In response to one such question, Scump stated “listen, I’m making it a fucking rule on my team next year that I’m fucking streaming scrims when I wanna stream them”. Scump was not a big fan of the most recent Call of Duty title, WWII, and stopped uploading daily videos and streaming regularly for the first time in a number of years. A debate about whether players should stream their team scrims and practices or not has also been raging in recent seasons, but it sounds like Scump has made his mind up to return to doing one of the things that made him and him so popular during the likes of Black Ops 2. His absence from streaming wasn’t purely down to a dislike of WWII, though. The OpTic man has also been battling internet issues for what seems like forever, and he admits that those issues made him “pessimistic” about attempting to stream regularly. Luckily for fans of the 23-year-old, those issues will soon be a thing of the past as he has revealed that he will finally be moving to OpTic’s home state of Texas and getting his hands on some top quality internet soon. “I’m gonna be in Texas, I’m gonna have fiber there. I mean my internet here is really bad, I’m sure you guys know that”, he said. Unfortunately, the veteran player is remaining rather close lipped about just when that move to Texas will occur simply stating “I move soon, I don’t know if I can say when I move”. One thing’s for certain – fans of Scump will be seeing a lot more of him during the Black Ops 4 season.

OpTic Gaming’s Scump reveals more details about his Texas move to Nadeshot – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming’s Scump reveals more details about his Texas move to Nadeshot OpTic Gaming’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has confirmed that he will be moving to Dallas, Texas permanently and that he has bought his first house. The 2017 Call of Duty world champion was playing the Blackout beta and discussing his recently announced move with former teammate Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag when the details were revealed. “Yeah, mainly for internet,” he said when asked whether he was excited to move. When Nadeshot probed for more information on whether he was going to buy a house, Scump responded “I already did, yeah.” Scump went on to say “that’s the first time I’ve ever said that! Sethy bought a house, growing up,” and that his new property is “really nice.” Nadeshot was clearly pleased for his former colleague on OpTic, saying “bro that is a ridiculous achievement,” and “you bought a house at 23, that’s unbelievable. Congratulations dude.” Scump and OpTic Gaming had their most difficult season in years during Call of Duty: WWII but they will be looking to turn things around with the release of Black Ops 4 in October. Moving to the organization’s home state of Texas, and finally having a solid internet connection again, could be the change that the veteran player needs in order to reclaim his spot at the top of the competitive Call of Duty ranks. The fact that he has bought a house rather than renting one also suggests that he doesn’t plan on cutting ties with OpTic any time soon – music to the ears of any Green Wall fan!

OpTic Gaming’s Scump is Returning to Streaming – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming’s Scump is Returning to Streaming OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty Captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has announced that he is going to start streaming again. Scump stopped content creation during the Call of Duty: World War 2 season, choosing to focus his time and efforts on competing with his OpTic Gaming squad. But with Call of Duty in its off-season, Scump has confirmed his intention to stream the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta, starting on Monday, September 10. Scump certainly isn’t short on offers from people to team with during his first stream back. OpTic Gaming owner Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez threw his name into the hat, replying with “we teaming?” to Scump’s original tweet. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag wants to reunite with his former teammate for the release of the Blackout beta, requesting to play duos with the 23 year old American in a throwback to the 2013 Black Ops 2 season! OpTic Gaming’s Scump discusses former streaming rivalry with Nadeshot – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming’s Scump discusses former streaming rivalry with Nadeshot OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has discussed his rivalry with former teammate, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. Scump was appearing on the latest episode of The Eavesdrop Podcast, with host Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez, and began stating his desire to begin streaming competitive scrims against other professional teams during the Black Ops 4 season. When discussing the future of the OpTic Call of Duty team’s future in content creation, Scump began to look back at the content creation rivalry he had with Nadeshot while the pair were both part of the OpTic organization. “I used to be selfish,” commented Scump. “So did Nadeshot, back in the day. We were competing against each other because we both wanted to be that guy.” “But because you raced each other, you raised each other with that internal competition,” responded Hector. Scump agreed with Rodriguez, but felt there was a downside to the competition: “We hindered ourselves. We did raise each other, but we raised each other to work harder against each other.” Abner also revealed that the pair have never spoken about the rivalry, stating: “Me and Nadeshot, we haven’t really talked about this. We haven’t shot the shit about the old days. We gotta hash this out.” Scump and Nadeshot are back on good terms again, with the pair recently attending the McGregor vs Khabib UFC event in Las Vegas. H3CZ hopes to get the pair together on a future podcast to discuss their former rivalry. Full disclosure: OpTic CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez is a minority shareholder in Dexerto Ltd

OpTic Gaming’s Dashy has revealed why fellow pro players call him Bruce – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming’s Dashy has revealed why fellow pro players call him Bruce OpTic Gaming Call of Duty player Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell has finally explained why his fellow pro players call him ‘Bruce’ instead of his actual name. When Dashy is streaming, viewers can often hear the OpTic star’s peers in the Call of Duty scene referring to him as Bruce, leaving fans confused as to where this nickname has came from. Thankfully, Dashy has finally revealed where the name comes from, and told the funny story of how Renato ‘Saints’ Forza originally coined the moniker. Dashy explained that the nickname began during the World War II season, when his sleep schedule was all over the place. Otell says that one day after waking up, he immediately hopped into a call to play eights with other players and they found out that his voice was incredibly deep when he wakes up. Read More: OpTic’s Scump soars to the top of Twitch and hits big milestones during first Black Ops 4 CWL 2K – Saints couldn’t believe how deep Dashy’s voice was, joking: “Is that Batman? Is that Bruce [Wayne]? Yo it’s Dash, I’m just going to call you Bruce from now on.” Batman is known for speaking in a deeper register in an attempt to disguise himself from those who may recognize his true voice – as shown by Christian Bale in his portrayal of the caped crusader in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Dashy clearly doesn’t mind his comparison to Batman, laughing: “Ever since then it’s been a staple, I don’t mind it. I’m Batman, it’s a good compliment.” OpTic’s Dark Knight has seen his stock rise since the beginning of the World War II season, joining the Greenwall in the off season before the beginning of the Black Ops 4 campaign. Things have gotten off to a good start for the new-look OpTic Gaming lineup, winning the November 5 CWL 2K tournament without dropping a single map.

OpTic’s Crimsix puts streaming scrims on hold due to toxic Twitch chat – Dexerto
OpTic’s Crimsix puts streaming scrims on hold due to toxic Twitch chat OpTic Gaming Call of Duty professional Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has taken a break from streaming the team’s scrims, due to the “vibes” coming from his Twitch chat. Long time fans of Call of Duty will know about the changes in streaming scrims over the past few years, as teams often refrained from doing so due to fears of strategies being copied and countered. However, in general, the Black Ops 4 season has seen a return to pros streaming their scrims, with many notable players such as Crimsix and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner streaming scrim matches regularly. Off the back of OpTic Gaming’s recent struggles, typified in their disappointing 9-12th finish at CWL Fort Worth back in March, there has been an emphasis from OpTic’s players to get back ‘on the grind’, as they look to return to the heights of earlier this season, when they won CWL Las Vegas. In a March 29 tweet, Crimsix appears to have indicated that his Twitch chat is negative in their responses to OpTic’s scrims, stating that there would not be any streams of scrims as he is “not really liking the vibes in chat recently”. No streams today bros, not really liking the vibes in chat recently, and we really need to go over some stuff in HP. Most likely will be live for 10s tonight! pic.twitter.com/f19jZCa9qG — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) March 29, 2019 He adds that his OpTic team, consisting of himself, Scump, Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell, Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, have work to do on their Hardpoint. Hence, it is likely a combination of the desire to keep these in-game adjustments private and the negative Twitch chat that encouraged him not to stream. Whether they are streamed or not, it is likely we will hear about a lot of scrim matches in the weeks to come, as CoD teams gear up for the next few weeks of the CWL Pro League. Up next for OpTic is the cross-division matches, facing off against a struggling Enigma6 on April 1, as they look to get back to better form.

OpTic Gaming win CMG $2,500 Black Ops 4 ProDown tournament – recap and final placements OpTic Gaming defeated 100 Thieves on November 19 to be crowned champions of the first ever $2,500 ProDown Black Ops 4 tournament, organized by Checkmate Gaming. Having already defeated 100 Thieves 4-1 in the Winners Bracket finals the day before, OpTic had to only win one of two matches in the grand final to claim overall victory. 100 Thieves, who beat Splyce 3-1 in the Losers finals, came into the grand final knowing they had to win back-to-back matches to win the tournament. However, OpTic did not allow things to get to that point, as they steamrolled 100 Thieves for the second time in as many days, defeating them 250-203 on Hacienda Hardpoint, 6-3 on Gridlock Search and Destroy, 3-2 on Frequency Control, and 250-62 in Seaside Hardpoint to complete the dominant 4-0 sweep. This tournament kicked off what many anticipate to be an intense rivalry between the two powerhouse teams, with OpTic holding the quick 2-0 edge over 100 Thieves for now. The victory also improved the Green Wall to a perfect 3/3 in major online tournaments so far, as they claimed victory in the first two CWL 2K tournaments they competed in. The CMG ProDown was a double-elimination tournament that featured some of the biggest brand name pro teams in Call of Duty esports. Eight pro teams were invited to play, facing off against eight challenger teams that qualified via a series of online tournaments hosted by CMG. Having already beaten Midnight in the Winner’s Bracket Final, OpTic had the luxury of only having to win one of two series in the Grand Final, whereas their opponents needed to win two straight since they were coming from the Loser’s Bracket. OpTic jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the Grand Final, winning a very tight Seaside Hardpoint 250-246 then dominating Payload Search and Destroy 6-2. OpTic Gaming win $2,500 CMG ProDown Black Ops 4 tournament #3 – recap, highlights, and final placements – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming win $2,500 CMG ProDown Black Ops 4 tournament #3 – recap, highlights, and final placements OpTic XobeThe third running of Checkmate Gaming’s $2,500 Black Ops 4 ProDown tournament wrapped up on December 3 with OpTic Gaming being crowned champions for the third straight time. OpTic Gaming defeated Team Reciprocity 3-2 and 3-1 in the Grand Final to exact revenge against the first and only team to have beaten them so far this Black Ops 4 season. Having been reverse swept 3-2 by Team Rec in the Winner’s Bracket Final, OpTic were forced to beat 100 Thieves in the Loser’s Final to advance, which meant that they had to win both matches in the Grand Final to be crowned champions, while Rec only had to win one. Just as in the WBF, the first match of the GF proved to be a very tight affair, ultimately going the distance. Reciprocity came out hot and won the first Hardpoint 250-174, and they would also go on to take the game four HP with a similar scoreline – 250-172, Meanwhile OpTic took the Search and Destroy 6-5 and Control 3-2, with both victories coming by the thinnest of margins. OG would amp it up in the game five S&D however, as Crimsix’s ace helped them win 6-1 and force a reset of the bracket.:robot_face::robot_face: @OpTic_Crimsix ACE. OpTic Gaming win $2,500 CMG Black Ops 4 ProDown tournament #2 – recap and final placements The second running of Checkmate Gaming’s $2,500 Black Ops 4 ProDown tournament wrapped up on December 3 with OpTic Gaming being crowned champions for the second time in a row. OpTic defeated rivals 100 Thieves 4-2 in the grand final, in what was a rematch of the first tournament’s finals, which saw the Green Wall win 4-0. After beating 100T 4-1 in the Winners Bracket final in day one, OpTic reached the grand final needing to win just one series to take home the victory, while 100T had to win back-to-back series because they had come out of the Losers Bracket. Unlike the first finals meeting, this matchup turned out to be a tight affair, as the two heavyweights weight back and forth in a series that nearly went the distance. OpTic Gaming star Dashy to miss opening CWL Pro League match [Confirmed] – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming star Dashy to miss opening CWL Pro League match [Confirmed] DexertoThe rumors that OpTic Gaming could be without one of their star players heading into the first week of Black Ops 4’s CWL Pro League have been confirmed as the team’s coach, Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow, announced on February 4 that Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell had run into some issues. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 tournament of the season. However, a number of rumors suggested that OpTic would be missing Otell for their opening week of CWL Pro League matches, as the Canadian is believed to be struggling with travel issues. The suggestion that Dashy would miss OpTic’s first matches in the Pro League began when viewers of fellow OpTic Gaming member Seth ‘Scump’ Abner stated that the American had spoken briefly about Otell having issues getting to Columbus. On Sunday, February 3, Dashy then sent a tweet to FaZe Clan member and OpTic substitute Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto that suggested that Dashy was handing over his place on the roster to Paparatto, although some OpTic Gaming fans thought the Canadian was simply joking. Dexerto reached out to OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty coach, TeePee, for confirmation of the situation on February 4, but the former world champion provided insight shortly after, confirming to his Twitch viewers that OpTic would indeed be using ZooMaa for the first CWL Pro League match of the season. “Here’s what I’ve been allowed so say,” the OpTic coach stated. “ZooMaa is playing while we figure out some issues with Dashy. Okay? That’s all you’re getting from me.” With Dashy unable to make it to Columbus in time for the CWL Pro League’s kickoff, his place will be taken by substitute ZooMaa. Paparatto’s FaZe Clan squad were unable to seal their place in the league through the Pro League Qualifier, so OpTic were able to snap up the Call of Duty: World War II Pro League champion to act as a fill-in. A Twitch command in TeePee’s chat also results in a message that says ZooMaa will be playing on day one of the CWL Pro League – whether that becomes a longer stint is currently uncertain. The loss of Dashy is sure to hit OpTic hard; the 19-year-old phenom has been a force to be reckoned with from the moment Black Ops 4 was released in October. The Green Wall will play Midnight Esports on the first day of the Pro League followed by UYU, Evil Geniuses and Reciprocity as the week continues. You can make sure you don’t miss any of the action when the league kicks off on Monday, February 4 with our CWL Pro League viewing guide.

OpTic Gaming get dominated in their first match of CWL Pro League without Dashy – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming get dominated in their first match of CWL Pro League without Dashy In what ended up being a stunning upset of epic proportions, OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty team got dominated to start off the CoD World League’s Pro League. The reigning CWL Vegas champions suffered a quick 3-0 sweep at the hands of their fellow Division A team Midnight Esports in what was the first match of the Pro League for both teams. The match started off with a 250-215 victory for Midnight on Hacienda Hardpoint, followed by an easy 6-2 win in Search and Destroy, also on Hacienda. Not wanting to let OpTic get any kind of momentum to fuel a potential comeback, Midnight handled the game three Control on Arsenal 3-0 to wrap up the series. The play of the match came during that game three Control, which saw the Midnight players run through the middle of the map and wipe out the entire OpTic squad, forcing them all to spawn out and away from the action. .@ScufGaming Play of the Game: @GGMidnight_ make the comeback in the second round of Control vs OpTic! #CWLPS4 pic.twitter.com/58hF2w7tXg — Call of Duty World League (@CODWorldLeague) February 5, 2019 While, on paper, the result does seem like a massive upset, competitive CoD fans who have been following Midnight Esports will know very well what that group of players is capable of. After all, this was that same team that shocked the scene by going 6-0 in Pool C of the CWL Pro League Qualifiers, and now they’ve won their seventh straight competitive match in a row. On the flip-side, despite this sort of defeat, there is not much to worry about if you’re an OpTic fan. It’s important to remember that the team was playing with substitute ZooMaa filling in for their star player Dashy, who had trouble making it to Columbus due to travel issues. OpTic will undoubtedly learn from their mistakes and bounce back from this, especially once they’re at full strength. After all, they are the favorites to win the whole thing for a reason. OpTic Gaming crowned CWL Vegas champions after dominating eUnited in Grand Final – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming crowned CWL Vegas champions after dominating eUnited in Grand Final The first major tournament of the 2019 Call of Duty World League season has now wrapped up, and OpTic Gaming have been crowned champions at CWL Vegas. OpTic Gaming defeated rivals eUnited in the Grand Final, capping off their incredible tournament run with a swift 3-0 victory to take home the magnificent trophy. The dominant sweep capped off a nearly flawless tournament run for OpTic, who did not lose a series throughout the entire competition and barely even dropped any maps. Since OpTic came into the Grand Final having won the Winner’s Bracket, they had to only win one series, as opposed to eUnited, who had to win two straight since they were coming from the Loser’s Bracket. Despite the 3-0 sweep, the individual games were not as one-sided as the overall score-line would suggest. The series started with Hardpoint on Seaside, which eUnited dominated and led 236-120 at one point, before OpTic went on another one of their insane comebacks to go on a 130-10 run and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. OpTic Gaming crash out of CWL Forth in second round of Losers Bracket – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming crash out of CWL Forth in second round of Losers Bracket MLGAs CWL Fort Worth rolls on, by far the biggest upset of the entire Black Ops 4 season has seen OpTic Gaming get bounced from the tournament at the hands of Gen.G in the second round of the Losers Bracket. The Greenwall came into the Texas tourney as the team to beat in their group comprised of eUnited, Team Envy and Team Reciprocity. Though their opposition are nothing to scoff at, OpTic had just got back to full-strength with the return of star gunner Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and were entering as the CWL Vegas Champions. Earlier in the week, CWL panelists were discussing which teams were most likely to get out of the so called “Group of Death,” to which they unanimously chose OpTic as the frontrunner. In a historic change of fate, OpTic lost in their first match against bottom-ranked Team Reciprocity in a game that stunned both audiences and analysts. The defeat marks their first loss offline with their star-studded lineup. The problems continued from there as OpTic then lost yet another match against Team Envy, which put them at a lackluster 0-2 on the day. OpTic managed to beat eUnited 3-0 in their third and final match in Pool D, but their 1-2 record was not enough to push them into the top two. Team Reciprocity’s 3-2 win over Team Envy to round off the night ensured that OpTic would start the knockout rounds in the Losers Bracket. OpTic came out the gate in the Losers Bracket on fire with a fairly quick 3-0 win over Evil Geniuses that featured a couple major comebacks. Up against Gen.G in the second Losers matchup, however, the cracks began to surface once more. They pushed things to a decisive Game 5, but it was Gen.G that stood tall in the end and sent the defending CWL Vegas Champs home packing. .@OpTicGaming ELIMINATED at #CWLPS4 Fort Worth!@GenG knock out the Vegas champs in an epic five-game series; a new champion will rise from #CWLPS4 Fort Worth! https://t.co/NKHQShcI4R pic.twitter.com/ORlhQz43rd — Call of Duty World League (@CODWorldLeague) March 17, 2019 While the loss was certainly disappointing given the team’s level of talent, they can at least feel confident heading back into the CWL Pro League with their entire roster in tow.

OpTic Gaming continue dominance while some big teams fall early in CMG ProDown #3 tournament – Day 1 recap, scores & brackets, and more – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming continue dominance while some big teams fall early in CMG ProDown #3 tournament – Day 1 recap, scores & brackets, and more The third running of Checkmate Gaming’s $2,500 Black Ops 4 tournament kicked off for its first day of action on December 16, featuring some of the biggest teams in Call of Duty esports. On the back of their remarkable win at the recent CWL Vegas event, OpTic Gaming resumed their online dominance by sweeping their two matches to reach the Winner’s Bracket Final for the third ProDown in a row, having already claimed victory in the first two. On the flip side of the bracket, Team Reciprocity made a surprising dash to their first ever WB finals, which included a 3-2 upset victory over 100 Thieves in the second round. The two teams will play for the right to advance on to the Grand Finals when day two kicks off at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET on December 17. However, it’s important to not forget about the Loser’s Bracket, as there are a couple of strong teams still alive in 100 Thieves and Luminosity Gaming. The pair will face off on day two as well, presumably around the same time the WB Finals are being played out. 100 Thieves will look to make it three straight trips to the Grand Final, the first two of which came via the Loser’s Bracket and ended with a loss to OpTic. Several notable teams have already been eliminated from this week’s ProDown, including Splyce, FaZe Clan, Evil Geniuses, Team Envy, G2 Esports and the former Str8 Rippin roster. The most surprising elimination was that of Splyce, who lost both of their games to face a quick exit just a week after their third place finish at CWL Vegas. *NOTE: LG defeated Orgless in Loser’s Round 4 With the brackets all set for day two, here are all of the matches that will be played to wrap up the third running of the ProDown on December 17: Winner’s Bracket Final: OpTic Gaming vs Team Reciprocity Loser’s Bracket Round 5: 100 Thieves vs Luminosity Gaming Loser’s Bracket Final: WBF loser vs LBR5 winner Grand Final: WBF winner vs LBF winner (LBF winner must win two matches)

OpTic Gaming become LA CWL franchise team, Gary Vee & WISE Ventures secure Minnesota Call of Duty spot – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming become LA CWL franchise team, Gary Vee & WISE Ventures secure Minnesota Call of Duty spot Activision Blizzard Esports have announced the next two cities to secure franchise spots during the first year of the newly franchised Call of Duty League – Los Angeles with OpTic Gaming and Minnesota as part of WISE Ventures, of which Gary Vaynerchuk is an investor. Following the sale of the first five-city based franchises, Activision have announced that Los Angeles and Minnesota will also compete in the first franchised league in Call of Duty history. Los Angeles will be led by Immortals Gaming Club’s OpTic Gaming while Minnesota will be headed up by WISE Ventures, a fund based in Manhattan who list popular entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk as an investor. CEO of Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick, welcomed the move stating: “I’m excited to welcome the newest teams, Los Angeles and Minnesota, to our incredible lineup – Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Paris and Toronto – for Call of Duty esports. “Together, these ownership groups represent some of the very best organizations in esports and traditional sports who will join us in paving the way for the future of professional, city-based competition for Call of Duty.” Fans of OpTic will be pleased to see the team competing in Call of Duty next year with the CEO of Immortals Gaming Club, Ari Segal, recognizing the importance of their participation. “By participating in the city-based model, we recognize the opportunity that the new Call of Duty esports league creates for us to tap into two existing sources of affinity: regional or city-based pride, and affinity for Call of Duty itself. “Call of Duty League also allows us to scale the relationships we’ve been fortunate to build with both Activision Blizzard Esports leadership and senior management into a new and largely distinct market segment.” OGxLA We will be the Los Angeles franchise in CDL 2020.#OGLA #GREENWALL pic.twitter.com/LtJFpmgRVc — OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTicGaming) July 1, 2019 On the other hand, Jonathan Wilf of WISE Ventures also expressed his excitement at the long-term vision that Minnesota are looking to create in the newly formed league. Wilf said: “Esports and competitive gaming has clearly emerged as a major force in the sports and entertainment industry. We have explored various opportunities in esports over the past few years, and we believe the new Call of Duty esports league is well positioned for long term success.” After being speculated for quite some time, Activision confirmed city-based franchising during their Q4 2018 Earnings Call on February 12. Following that announcement, the first five cities (Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Paris, and Toronto) were announced on May 2. The official start date for the inaugural franchised season hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to start in early-2020, which is perfectly in line with the normal start of the Pro League.

OpTic Gaming and eUnited dispute continues as OpTic refuse to replay map during CWL 2K – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming and eUnited dispute continues as OpTic refuse to replay map during CWL 2K The rivalry between OpTic Gaming and eUnited continued during the CWL 2K tournament on Monday, November 5, as OpTic Gaming turned down a suggestion to replay a Hardpoint map after Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson lagged out of the game. The OpTic squad have been involved in a dispute with the eUnited org since Halloween, when the latter changed their Twitter profile picture colors to those of the OpTic, joking that they were dressing up as “a Top 24 Champs team” for the occasion. During the second day of the tournament on November 5, the teams were neck and neck heading into the final few hills of a Hardpoint, when eUnited’s Arcitys complained about lag affecting him, appearing to stand idle in his spawn. With OpTic Gaming winning the Hardpoint thanks to a 5v4 numerical advantage, eUnited suggested replaying the map to declare a fair winner when both teams had their full squad available. Unfortunately for eUnited, OpTic had no intention of replaying the map, citing their rival organization’s social media antics as the main reason as to why they wouldn’t restart the Hardpoint. “Does anyone remember Halloween?” asked Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter. “I’m making the second map bro. Sorry Arcitys, Prestini, aBeZy, Clay and JKap, your org got you that [loss].” Seth ‘Scump’ Abner agreed, saying: “These guys are fucking losers. Their whole organization is.” OpTic Gaming’s coach Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow was later asked about the incident on stream, and attempted to clear the air somewhat. Asked whether there was any ‘bad blood’ between the teams, TeePee said “it’s a 2K, who gives a fuck. If people are going to get hung up on that shit, in a 2K – like, come on man.” CWL caster and host Clint ‘Maven’ Evans agreed, saying “we were all in discord together like ‘who cares, play or don’t play, just do something.” On the other hand, eUnited’s coach Brian ‘Saintt’ Baroska still held on to the map not being a fair loss for eU, saying they had lost semis ‘1-2’, rather than the 0-3 scoreline. The boys lost semis of the 2k 1-2, we’ll get em next week — eU Saintt (@BrianSaintt) November 6, 2018 OpTic Gaming went on to win the series 3-0, knocking eUnited out of the tournament and securing their place in the final. OpTic’s Dashy lights up CWL Las Vegas on day one with highlight plays – Dexerto
OpTic’s Dashy lights up CWL Las Vegas on day one with highlight plays Twitter: DashySZNOpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty squad got off to a hot start at CWL Las Vegas behind some stellar play from Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell. Drawn in Pool D alongside Splyce, G2 Esports and Pittsburgh Knights, the Greenwall were looking to take their incredible start to the Black Ops 4 online season into the first LAN event of the year. The squad of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly and Dashy were backed as pre-tournament favourites and the play from Dashy showcased just why that was the case. In a tight game of Search and Destroy on Arsenal against Pittsburg Knights, the new OpTic star helped close out the map with an absurd Tempest killing spree. After getting the bomb planted, the Greenwall prepared their defences as Christopher ‘Parasite’ Duarte’s men swarmed for the defuse. Dashy popped his Tempest specialist, firstly taking down Andres ‘Lacefield’ Lacefield before turning his sights to Casey ‘Pandur’ Romano and dropping him too. After taking out two of the three remaining Knights players, Dashy then flanked Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown and finished him off with a Maddox burst to the back, giving OpTic the map win and a 2-0 lead in the series – a series they would eventually claim 3-0. Leading 5-0 and only needing another round to close the map out, the event favourites found themselves in a 2v2 post-bomb plant situation. They needed more Dashy magic to seal the 6-0 win and they got just that as he turned on Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacy with less than 20 health and blew his former compLexity teammate away. OpTic Crimsix hilariously kills himself and teammate to lose Control round on Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix hilariously kills himself and teammate to lose Control round on Black Ops 4 OpTic Gaming pro player Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter is widely considered to be one of the greatest Call of Duty players of all time, but as he showed, even the best can make amusing mistakes. Crimsix was playing a pickup game of the brand new game mode ‘Control’ alongside nine other Call of Duty pros on the map Frequency. The veteran player was attempting to capture the B zone located on the north side of the map alongside Luminosity Gaming’s Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo, with the duo left as the last members of their team alive. Facing three enemies, with neither team having any respawns available to use, Crimsix decided to use his hard-earned killstreaks in an attempt to secure the round for his squad – using his Lightning Strike so he could see where enemy players were on the map. He spotted the three enemies coming towards B, and quickly called out the information to Classic, placing his Lightning Strike to go off on the runway their opponents would have to push. Unfortunately, Crimsix miscalculated the positioning of his killstreak, as the bombs rained down and took out both Crimsix and Classic, without touching any of their opponents! The OpTic Gaming star couldn’t believe what happened, screaming: “What?!” over and over again, while Classic yelled “You motherfucker! Why didn’t you use the Hellstorm?” “I didn’t even put them close!” replied Crimsix, while pleading with viewers of his stream to back him up. While this mistake may have cost his team the round, it’s definitely better that he makes it now than when the pro season begins at CWL Vegas on December 7!

OpTic Crimsix has laid out his Black Ops 4 content plan – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix has laid out his Black Ops 4 content plan OpTic Gaming Call of Duty star Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has revealed that he intends to improve the consistency of his content creation during the Black Ops 4 season. Crimsix recently uploaded a video to his YouTube channel breaking down the OpTic Gaming competitive roster for the new season, and also discussed plans for his own YouTube and Twitch channels for the upcoming year. “For myself, I want to be uploading every single day,” stated the two-time World Champion. “I want to be streaming every day. I’ll probably take a day off, so probably six days a week. That’s pretty fair.” Porter said that he may look into hiring someone to run the content on his YouTube channel, as he thinks that will help him create consistent content while he focuses on competition. The long-time OpTic member also believes that the quality of this year’s game will help him remain motivated to upload and streaming. “I’m slightly concerned that Blackout will be better than the actual game, but that will be good for content. In the end, I want a fun game, and we had a bunch of fun playing the Blackout beta,” continued Crimsix. Crimsix was inconsistent with uploading content throughout the World War II season. There was a sharp decline in the regularity of his content once OpTic began to struggle in the Call of Duty: World League, and Porter has said in the past that he just generally did not enjoy the last Call of Duty title. Porter’s OpTic Gaming teammate Karma has already hired someone to focus on his YouTube channel, while Scump has confirmed his intention to begin uploading daily content to YouTube once the Black Ops 4 season starts. With Black Ops 4 releasing on Friday, October 12, fans of the OpTic player will be excited to hear of his return to content creation.

OpTic Crimsix explains why the Swordfish isn’t in Black Ops 4 gentlemen’s agreements yet – Dexerto
OpTic Crimsix explains why the Swordfish isn’t in Black Ops 4 gentlemen’s agreements yet A number of popular weapons and attachments have been added to gentlemen’s agreements throughout Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and OpTic Gaming star Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has explained why the Swordfish tactical rifle hasn’t been included just yet. Gentlemen’s agreements are created by professional Call of Duty players in an attempt to curb the use of weapons, attachments or items that they deem to be too strong for use in competitive play. These rules are often agreed upon by the players and not the developers or tournament organizers, meaning that while they are not officially banned, there is an understanding that they won’t be used in matches. A number of items have been made unavailable by pro players, such as the Mozu pistol and the Stock II attachment for the SAUG submachine gun. While rumors have circulated that the Swordfish tactical rifle is the next weapon on the chopping block, the pro players have yet to announce that it has officially been banned, with Crimsix explaining the delay on the removal of the Swordfish during a stream on Sunday, February 24. “Pretty much, Evil Geniuses wants it in.” stated Porter as he discussed the weapon. “Teams are threatening to use Stock II. They’re saying that if the Swordfish is in, they’re using Stock II, and EG is down for that.” “With Stock II in, the ABR gets better and the VAPR might be stupidly good. The thing is, it’s just going to be a shitshow if the Swordfish is allowed.” A viewer also asked Crimsix why so many items had been banned by pros during the Black Ops 4 season, with the OpTic star responding: “Because this game is not fucking good in terms of competitive play. Everyone agrees and wants the meta we used at CWL Las Vegas, which is by far the best meta.” With the current weapons balancing patch not active in the CWL Pro League, fans of the competitive scene will have to wait for CWL Fort Worth to see whether pro players choose to bring the weapon out and use it in a competitive environment.

“OP” MW2 rifle has better TTK than Warzone’s dominant MTZ Interceptor – Dexerto
“OP” MW2 rifle has better TTK than Warzone’s dominant MTZ Interceptor ActivisionThere’s an OP rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that has a “better” TTK than the dominant MTZ Interceptor in Warzone right now, but it has been totally ignored by most players. Over the last few years, Warzone has had its fair share of dominant weapons with broken TTKs – Time to Kill – that have put a few players off, especially if they haven’t leveled it up like everybody else. In the case of Modern Warfare 3’s cycle, the early leader in those sets of stakes has been the MTZ Interceptor. The rifle has an incredibly fast time to kill across the key ranges and has been the subject of weapon balancing already after a number of calls from the community for change. Despite those changes, the Interceptor remains one of the go-to guns for many players, with many not wanting to change because of how comfortable they are with it. However, there is a better option out there – but it is a little tricky. Best LM-S loadout in Warzone Well, that’s according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, as he highlighted Modern Warfare 2’s LM-S rifle as having one of the best TTK’s in Warzone despite the fact it’s being ignored by everyone. “A weapon that didn’t really get attention the entirety of last year but, as it stands right now, with how the Interceptor is broken right now, this already has a better TTK than the Interceptor,” he said. “If the Interceptor gets nerfed and this doesn’t, it speaks for itself, right.” WhosImmortal noted that it is a little “tricky” to use but there’s no gun that can really “outgun” it right now, so if you master its pattern and land shots, you’re going to be in business when it comes to wins. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire suppressor – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support grip – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Ammunition: 7.62x51mm High Grain – Magazine: 20-round mag – The only knock on the marksman rifle is the 20-round magazine size, but that just means you’ll have to pair it with something like the WSP Swarm or AMR9 to do the work for you up-close. With it being a weapon from Modern Warfare 2, the LM-S probably won’t go under the knife for changes in Season 2, so it might be time to hop on board.

“OP” LMG is one of Warzone 2’s best but no one uses it – Dexerto
“OP” LMG is one of Warzone 2’s best but no one uses it ActivisionThere’s an “overpowered” LMG that plenty of Warzone 2 players are still ignoring despite the fact it is one of the best guns in the battle royale. Across the last few seasons of Warzone, the battle royale devs have been trying to shake up the game’s weapon pool and shine a light on some of the more under-used options in the game. At the start of Season 5, the dominant Cronen Squall was knocked down a few pegs, giving way for the Lachmann Sub and ISO 45 to become the go-to guns for most players. On top of that, SMGs and LMGs were changed in a big and were two standout weapon types receiving buffs. The SMGs continue to lead the way as we head into Season 5 Reloaded, but LMGs remain on the fringes despite the fact they’ve got some of the best TTks in the battle royale. Warzone 2’s Sakin MG is ‘OP’ but no one uses it Well, Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal is trying to change that as shone the spotlight on the Sakin MG for being ‘OP’ in the game right now. “The Sakin here is overpowered in my mind because its damage is just decent but it is so, so easy to use – arguably the easiest weapon on the list. The recoil is so minimal,” he said in his August 28 video. “It’s TTK is actually up there towards the best of the best in the LMG category and ultimately the best of the best in the overall meta right now. This thing is a laser beam and its damage is just good enough that it’s going to fry when you land your shots, which is not difficult to do whatsoever.” There isn’t too much in the way of a funky setup either. The popular Polarfire-S muzzle, 20’ Bruen Silver Series barrel, and Aim-OP V4 sight all have a role to play. However, the widely-used 7.62 High Velocity rounds have been subbed out. Muzzle: Polarfire-S muzzle – Barrel: Bruen Silver Series barrel – Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip – Optic: Aim-OP V4 – Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip – Timestamp of 2:30 WhosImmortal isn’t the only Warzone 2 YouTuber to highlight the Sakin recently. IceManIsaac called it “hitscan” a few weeks back and claimed it’s actually the fastest-killing gun in the battle royale. It is still under the radar for some players with WZRanked stats placing it as the 37th most-popular gun in the game. That should also mean it probably won’t get nerfed much in Season 5 Reloaded and should continue to be a deadly option.

OP equipment returns to takeover Warzone Season 3 meta – Dexerto
OP equipment returns to takeover Warzone Season 3 meta ActivisionWarzone Season 3 has finally returned C4 explosives back into the meta following some massive buffs to the classic lethal equipment in this season’s update. Warzone Season 3 has launched, introducing all-new content and bringing back the fan-favorite Rebirth Island map, as well as the iconic Kar98k weapon. The new Warzone season update has also introduced its fresh wave of buffs and nerfs to shake up the meta once again. However, many believe the C4 has been “overbuffed” as it looks set to return to form and be key in this season’s Warzone meta. The classic lethal equipment’s stats have been majorly buffed with the devs increasing its damage, blast radius as well as the speed players can throw and detonate it. Warzone expert JGOD has further tested the C4 and found that you can now throw the explosive 20 metres without the Strong Arm perk and 30 meters when it is equipped. One player responded: “Holy s**t that’s a long throw for C4, without the perk for it. I haven’t used C4 since they nerfed the throw distance in WZ1.” The YouTuber further stated: “fast detonation seems tied to weapon swap speed, so for a slower weapon you can’t do it fast,” and if you perform a classic double tap interaction it will detonate quickly. With the C4 being boosted on all fronts, it has already started taking over, as one player stated: “C4 in Season 3 is meta.” Despite this, it has already divided the community just as it did in the first iteration of Warzone during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Many in the player base have praised the changes and throwback to the “good old days” with C4s being OP, while others aren’t as convinced. “Great this s**t again,” echoed the overall feeling of those against it. Others agreed that “OP things are fun. Just nerf them within a week unless they’re completely broken, nerf in a day.” So, if you want to reminisce in OG Warzone gameplay or just want to get your revenge on roof and building campers, then get those C4s equipped and try it out for yourself.

One Warzone shotgun keeps firing blanks and players are fed up – Dexerto
One Warzone shotgun keeps firing blanks and players are fed up Infinity WardA familiar issue with Modern Warfare’s shotguns is starting to annoy Warzone players, especially when it leads to moments where they get killed almost immediately after. In Season 2, players clamored for a fix in Modern Warfare’s Multiplayer where shotgun slugs would be wildly inaccurate compared to the normal pellet spread they’re known for. The bug prompted a quick reply from Co-Design Director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, Joe Cecot. While the message at the time indicated these problems would be resolved in CoD’s Multiplayer. Months after Season 3’s update came and went, the same issues can be seen in Warzone. “Never been one to rage quit but this one had me close,” user ‘Sundancelc’ said after they unloaded a clip of 12 Gauge Slugs from a VLK Rogue shotgun against an opponent at point-blank. Even though there wasn’t much space in between the two opponents, the shotgun wasn’t very productive at connecting the short-range blasts. In the middle of the fight, there were a couple of shots that managed to connect. But the chaos of the moment quickly made Sundancelc drop the ADS and fire from the hip – a historically favorable matchup for shotguns at close distances. But it’s because of the ammunition type loaded in the VLK that made it impossible to hit the mark, even at that range. “The current shotguns in Warzone are mostly slug,” user ‘Bla3k0ps’ said. “So that means no spray circle with dot. On the VLK the slugs make it impossible to kill in Warzone. It’s consistently worse than the base one.” More players indicated that while the Dragon’s Breath variant is the most worthwhile depiction of the VLK, the slugs really hamper the gameplay. “I saw the VLK and knew you were done,” ‘K1d-ego’ explained. “I don’t know why they’re trying so hard to make that piece of s**t happen. There’s the dragons breath, the battle pass blueprint for it, and two versions of it in Warzone. It’s not a fun gun and no one wants to use it.” It was one of the worst times for Sundancelc to discover the slugs’ weakness in Warzone and will “stay clear of it from now on” until there’s a fix for the issue.

One Warzone Season 6 sniper support loadout stands above the rest – Dexerto
One Warzone Season 6 sniper support loadout stands above the rest ActivisionSniper rifles dominate Warzone’s meta, but no loadout is entirely complete without a powerful sidekick. Typically, when Warzone received a new weapon, it immediately shot to the top of popularity lists. For example, Season 2 introduced the ISO Hemlock, and within a week, it was everyone’s favorite AR. Then, one season later, the Cronen Squall instantly became the go-to long-range meta weapon. But not every weapon successfully found its place in the game after being introduced. Season 5’s FR Avancer struggled to find an identity right out of the gate. A weird damage profile left the AR in no man’s land. The combination of a hard-to-control recoil pattern and lackluster TTK speed meant the weapon was neither a long or short-range meta weapon. Thankfully, Season 5 Reloaded increased the AR’s close and far damage. And then, in Season 6, the devs doubled down and increased the Avancer’s limb damage multipliers, close, mid, and long-range damage. Post buffs, the AR has finally found its place in the meta, and WhosImmortal believes its the best sniper support weapon. FR Avancer outclasses other Warzone sniper support weapons WhosImmortal made a case for why the FR Avancer is the best sniper support weapon in Warzone. “The Avancer is by far the best sniper support rifle, in my opinion. This thing frys, and even over long ranges, it has a really good on-paper TTK.” The YouTuber did admit: “The recoil is a bit rough when you get to 60, 70, or 80 meters, but it is versatile for sure. Best Warzone FR Avancer loadout Here is WhosImmortal’s go-to FR Avancer loadout. Barrel: 435MM FR435 (+0.29, +0.22) – Muzzle: Harbinger D20 (-0.84, +0.54) – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 (+0.43, +0.2) – Magazine: 60 Round Mag – Optic: Aim OP-V4 (-1.35, -1.65) – “Whether this is your sniper support or your standard primary build, it’s going to work well because this is a super versatile rifle,” WhosImmortal added. If this AR doesn’t check every box for you, check out our guide on the best Warzone loadouts.

“One shot” VLK loadout makes it one of Warzone’s best shotguns – Dexerto
“One shot” VLK loadout makes it one of Warzone’s best shotguns ActivisionPopular Warzone YouTuber TheKoreanSavage has been showing some love to the VLK Rogue shotgun, and has a loadout that lets you put enemies on the ground with just one shot. Ever since the start of Warzone, shotguns have had a few moments in the spotlight. Whether it was when the battle royale was just full of Modern Warfare guns, or after the Cold War integration, they’ve always been a trusty sidearm. Currently, you’ll struggle to find a true meta loadout that utilizes a shotgun – even though players have given some love to the anti-cheater class of a Riot Shield, shotgun, and stun grenades to fight back against aimbots. However, with Verdansk about to go away, and players being locked into Rebirth Island until Caldera launches, shotguns should get some love. And that’s where the VLK Rogue could shine once again. While it didn’t crack the meta, the VLK Rogue packed a punch in the early days of Warzone thanks to its Dragon’s Breath magazine attachment that does exactly what it sounds like, and deals fire damage to enemies. As popular Warzone YouTuber TheKoreanSavage also points out, it has “ridiculous” one-shot potential thanks to its headshot multiplier, which makes it a viable weapon if you’re sneaking around Verdansk. Though, as some popular VLK builds opt for either the 16′ Warlord or 6′ Revolt barrel, the YouTuber instead opts for the VLK CZAR barrel and pairs it with the ever-popular FORGE TAC Marauder muzzle. This may reduce movement speed ever so slightly, but it does buff the shotgun’s damage range. One-shot VLK Rogue Warzone loadout Muzzle: FORGE TAC Marauder – Barrel: VLK Czar – Laser: 5MW Laser – Stock: No Stock – Magazine: 6-R Dragon’s Breath – As the YouTuber shows a handful of times, landing a headshot with the weapon will leave your enemies on the floor, demanding that their teammate comes and picks them back up. Body and limb shots will deal a decent amount of damage, but you’ll need two or three shots to finish off a foe if you don’t land the headshot. While WZRanked stats has the VLK Rogue as the 87th overall weapon when it comes to usage, don’t be shocked if you find people running it on Rebirth for a little bit.

One-shot sniper loadout brings “Kar98 2.0” to Warzone 2 – Dexerto
One-shot sniper loadout brings “Kar98 2.0” to Warzone 2 ActivisionWarzone 2 players have discovered a new sniper build that they’ve dubbed the “Kar98 2.0,” bringing the iconic marksman rifle back to the Call of Duty battle royale with its one-tap ability. In the Verdansk days, the Kar98 was the most popular sniper rifle in the game, a dominant performer at any range, and at some points in the meta, you couldn’t play without hearing Kar shots ringing out across the entire map. Eventually, they were nerfed, and since then, even into Al Mazrah and to the current day, an effort has been made to not give sniper and marksman rifles the power they once had. Now, though, players have discovered a sniper that can rip through enemy Armor Plates with ease. Here’s the build. SP-X 80 is “Kar98 2.0” A number of Warzone players have started using this SP-X 80 build that they’ve dubbed the second coming of the Kar98k, ripping through enemy plates with a high damage and speed output. Here’s the loadout: Laser: FSS OLE V-Laser – Stock: PVZ 890 Tac Stock – Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip – Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt – Ammunition: .300 Incendiary – The attachments are tuned to prioritize speed, bullet velocity, and damage, though you can check Testy’s full specs for the best tunings to get the most out of this SPX build. This build will no doubt start running riot across Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel before long, but whether it becomes the OP meta-buster some expect it to remains to be seen. If it does, developers Raven Software might need to look at ways to stop it from completely dominating every lobby.

“One shot” Modern Warfare sniper dominates Warzone after Season 5 Reloaded buff – Dexerto
“One shot” Modern Warfare sniper dominates Warzone after Season 5 Reloaded buff ActivisionLooking for a sniper to use in the final few weeks of Warzone? Well, you might want to check out Modern Warfare’s Rytec, seeing as it can down enemies in one shot. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 on the horizon, Warzone fans are giving the battle royale an extended send-off by returning to their roots with their loadouts of choice. Even though Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons still rule the day because of their 10 attachments, plenty of guns from Modern Warfare have been getting a bit of love from players. A handful have crept into the top 10 for pick rate, and managed to remain competitive over the last few weeks. The Season 5 Reloaded update also helped with this, as plenty of Modern Warfare guns got a buff. That includes the Rytec sniper, which now has the ability to one-shot enemies and send them packing. Rytec sniper can dominate after Warzone Season 5 Reloaded buff Warzone guru Metaphor highlighted the sniper in his October 9 video, and while he isn’t convinced it is on the same level as the AX-50 and others, it is certainly a lot of fun across all ranges. “If you’re catching people who are lacking, it’s not a bad gun at all,” the YouTuber said. “This gun definitely does one-shot now at all ranges, you just cannot put Thermite rounds or Explosive rounds because it will lower your damage too much.” The build that the YouTuber uses is pretty standard – with the FTAC Seven Straight barrel and Tac Laser – but he also adds the Thermal Dual Power Scope to make things a little tricky. Though, of course, you can use something else. Muzzle: Rytec AMR Suppressor – Barrel: FTAC Seven Straight – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Thermal Dual Power Scope – Stock: STOVL Tac-Wrap – As noted, the Rytec isn’t exactly the most well-loved weapon in Warzone. As per WZRanked stats, it only has a 0.14 pick rate despite its recent buff. Though it does boast a nice 2.33 win rate. It’s unlikely that the sniper becomes meta just because the speed is somewhat lacking compared to its other semi-automatic counterparts. Though, it is worth running for a session or two, just for the one-shot potential.

One-shot Crossbow loadout could actually destroy Warzone meta – Dexerto
One-shot Crossbow loadout could actually destroy Warzone meta ActivisionThe Warzone meta is attempting to be crashed by the Crossbow as the long-range bolt blaster is proving once again why it’s so underrated in Call of Duty’s elite battle royale experience. This is not the first time that someone has repped for CoD’s Crossbow as the fearsome weapon is capable of delivering some simply devastating shots on Caldera or Fortune’s Keep. Whilst everyone is gleefully running around with an NZ-41, Marco 5, Cooper Carbine, or Blixen in their hands, the Crossbow is making its presence known again as the one-shot potential of the weapon is attempting to disrupt the game’s ever-changing meta in Season 4. CoD Warzone Crossbow is wreaking havoc Assault Rifles and SMGs seem to be the thing in Warzone with other weapon classes, even Sniper Rifles, taking a backseat as of late. But there has been a vocal part of the Call of Duty: Warzone community that has been trying to get across the point that the Crossbow is as effective as any other gun in the game — if used correctly. One Reddit user is adamant that the Crossbow is meta, thanks to its one-shot capabilities, and put forward their case through a tasty compilation filled with one-shot Crossbow hits. Their post asked the question “Still not convinced the Crossbow is Meta?” and it seemed hard to argue given that the Crossbow seemed hard to defend against, especially when its Explosive Bolts were downing anyone in sight. Clearly, the OP was not the only one who thought it was underrated as one user said: “Shhh don’t get it nerfed on us!” Warzone OP one-shot Crossbow loadout The OP didn’t keep the loadout to themself either as they disclosed full details of their setup for the Crossbow. Cable: 28-Strand Cable – Bolt: Explosive Bolts – Optic: Player’s Choice – Perk: Sleight of Hand – Laser: Tac Laser – The loadout is built around speed and power, with the user pointing out that they preferred the Explosive Bolts as they down quicker than Thermite, and also intimidate enemies, and the basic Iron Sight allows you to have more freedom in other areas of the weapon. The Crossbow won’t be for everyone, but with the Sniper Rifle meta having become a bit more open in recent months, it leaves space for another longer-range, one-hit machine to take their place.

Player manages to finish in 0th place in the Call of Duty Blackout beta – Dexerto
Player manages to finish in 0th place in the Call of Duty Blackout beta TreyarchReddit user ‘NixA2259’ uploaded a screenshot of his results screen from a game in the Call of Duty: Blackout PC beta, which revealed a curious development. The screen showed that he had placed #0 out of the 80 players in the match. Nix appeared to take the news well, captioning the photo, “You placed #0 GG.” A commenter responded to the photo saying that finishing #0 had to be better than first place, to which he cheekily responded, “Must be :’D.” Nix replied to the comment, apparently confirming that his instance occurred in a similar manner. “Yeah lol…” he said. This is far from the strangest instance to have occured in the Blackout Beta. A multitude of glitches have been reported in the title, from the Xbox’s home button causing complete controller unresponsiveness to players being able to travel beneath the map itself. However, Treyarch have been largely responsive to player concerns, and have already stated that the Xbox glitch will be fixed upon release. Now matter how buggy it may be, the Blackout Beta proved to be a good time for many players, and has even been projected to rival Fortnite. The Blackout beta went offline for all platforms on September 17, although it was extended a further two hours past its original end-time. Players will have to wait until CoD: Black Ops 4 releases in full on October 12 before they are able to play the new battle royale mode again.

One of the most annoying Black Ops 4 issues is finally being fixed – Dexerto
One of the most annoying Black Ops 4 issues is finally being fixed A Treyarch developer has given Black Ops 4 players the news they have been waiting for – a fix to auto-mantle problems, plaguing multiplayer gameplay. There are few things more frustrating that attempting to jump during a gunfight in Black Ops 4 and seeing your character awkwardly clamber over a tiny object behind you, or wildly mantling to some ridiculous height only to die to fall damage. Auto-mantling is a feature designed to allow for more fluid and seamless movement around the map, by automatically clambering over walls and objects in your path. Of course, when mantling, you weapon is reduced to only hip fire spray with reduced accuracy, meaning mantling during a gunfight is certain death. In Black Ops 4, the auto-mantle feature is not optional, and is very sensitive to every possible obstruction on the map, big and small, which leads to frustrating moments like these. As a result of countless deaths at the end of overly sensitive mantling, to even the smallest and most insignificant obstructions, players have asked for an option to turn it off. Although it is unclear if an option to disable auto-mantle is coming, developer Matt Scronce has confirmed that the team are working on a fix for the auto-mantle problems, in response to a Reddit post about the issue. This could mean an option to disable, but it’s also likely they are working on making certain objects not function with auto-mantle, or even requiring players to hold jump rather than simply press, in order to get the mantle animation. Treyarch have been rolling out regular updates to Black Ops 4 across multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout, almost twice weekly, so hopefully the can implement a fix to auto-mantle issues in the near future. In the latest update, on November 16, fixes were rolled out for numerous bugs across all three modes, you can see the full patch notes here.

One of Call of Duty’s most popular modes is coming to Fortnite – Dexerto
One of Call of Duty’s most popular modes is coming to Fortnite Limited Time Modes have become a staple of Fortnite since the game released back in September 2017, and it seems that fans of the popular battle royale title will soon be able to play one of Call of Duty’s most popular party modes – Gun Game. Gun Game was first introduced to Call of Duty fans back in 2010 as part of the Wager Matches section of the original Black Ops, and has become a fixture of the franchise ever since. In Gun Game, players will start off with a pistol, and earn a new weapon every time they find a kill. Gun Game generally has 20 levels, with the winner being the player who manages to find a kill with all 20 weapons first. While Gun Game has long been a part of CoD, it seems that Fortnite fans will soon get an opportunity to test out the mode, as according to leaks, it will be added to the game in the near future. The LTM has been found in the update files for the V7.40 patch which released on February 14, and comes with the caption: “Earn eliminations to make your way through all of the weapons to the end!” “Gun Game” “”Earn eliminations to make your way through all of the weapons to the end!”” (Upcoming LTM Via @lucas7yoshi_)#Fortnite #FortniteBR pic.twitter.com/H543r8wYd5 — FortniteBR – Info (@FNInformation) February 15, 2019 The Limited Time Mode has not been given an official release date as yet, but it’s likely it will be introduced when the next weekly update launches, possibly as early as February 19. Unfortunately, we won’t know for sure until Epic Games releases the information publically, but stay tuned to Dexerto for more updates.

One in a million Modern Warfare grenade throw leads to unfortunate loss – Dexerto
One in a million Modern Warfare grenade throw leads to unfortunate loss Infinity WardOne of the most unbelievable grenade throws in Call of Duty history left this Modern Warfare player confused as they had no idea what hit them. Throwing out your equipment at the start of a Gunfight round is often a good way to gain some intel on enemy positioning, or even find a lucky elimination, regardless of which map you might be fighting on. Unfortunately in this match, however, opposing players had the exact same idea, and due to some impossible timing, only one of them was able to make it out alive. Up 2–1 in a game of Gunfight on Docks, loadouts had changed to ensure both sides of the battlefield were well equipped with Lethal and Tactical grenades. In particular, two Decoy Grenades to confuse the enemy, and one Semtex grenade to stick the opposing team with explosive damage. After firing a single warning shot, Reddit user ‘Jamersonnnn’ angled his crosshairs towards the high ground opening on the left-hand side of the map. Rather than climbing atop the vehicle and jumping through, however, they played things a little more patient and waited for their equipment. Throwing out a decoy grenade first, nothing out of the ordinary happened. Following up with their lethal Semtex, however, this unlucky player was left confused as to how their own grenade actually ended up costing their life. A peculiar clunk can be heard just moments after the grenade left their hand, but it wasn’t quite clear what the sound could have come from. Slowing things down after watching the killcam, however, it became clear a near-impossible collision had resulted in their grenade actually bouncing back in their direction, deflecting off the enemy’s own thrown projectile. The enemy up top threw a semtex of their own at the exact same moment. Crashing together in mid-air, one grenade instantly dropped to the floor below while the other was knocked back and returned to its sender. You could try to replicate this collision a thousand times in a custom lobby and likely struggle to pull it off. The exact timing and precision needed to arc each projectile into one another is truly extraordinary yet these players happened to make it work in the middle of a Gunfight match – to disastrous effects for the player on the ground.

One Black Ops 6 change makes Zombies much harder & fans are embracing it – Dexerto
One Black Ops 6 change makes Zombies much harder & fans are embracing it ActivisionSurviving endless waves of zombies in Call of Duty has never been for the faint of heart, and Treyarch made sure of that in Black Ops 6 with a self-revive restriction. Self-Revives are a support equipment item in Zombies that allow you to revive yourself after getting downed. To acquire these items in Black Ops 6, players need to create them at a crafting table. Crafting calls for Salvage, which is dropped from zombies as ground loot. For tactical items, such as smoke or concussion grenades, players can craft as much as they want until their inventory is full or they run out of Salvage. However, CharlieIntel confirmed that, to make higher-round gameplay more challenging in Black Ops 6, Treyarch limited the amount of Self-Revives you can have in a match to three. This change is not new, as several classic CoD Zombies titles have enforced the restriction. In saying that, players are pleased to see it return. This shouldn’t be confused with Quick Revive, a Perk-a-Cola that reduces the health regeneration delay time and the time it takes to revive a teammate by 50%. Quick Revive is also limited to three uses but they are different than Self-Revives. “Huge! It’s just good we only get 3 overall lives now,” CoD Zombies YouTuber Syndicate argued. While most of the feedback was positive, there is a segment of the player base that believes players should have more than three Self-Revives. “Ok, I think this might be one of the first L’s,” a second user claimed. “I’m all for limiting self-revives, but maybe make it like five or so.” Overall though, players are ready to earn high round runs without needing rely on an equipment item as a crutch. “Honestly, good change. Zombies has become too easy,” a third commenter said. Activision plans to reveal more information about Zombies at Call of Duty: Next on August 28, 2024. In the meantime, players can learn more about GobbleGums and the new save and quit feature coming to the game mode.

One-armed Warzone streamer goes viral after dominating in Verdansk – Dexerto
One-armed Warzone streamer goes viral after dominating in Verdansk Activision, Twitch, maValentineeThis small Warzone streamer is lighting up Verdansk with only one arm. The controller player went viral on Reddit after he set a personal record of 24 kills in a single game. A streamer by the name of maValentinee on Twitch made it to the top of the Warzone subreddit after clutching up and getting the last 4 kills in the game. It caught the eye of so many people because he was able to do all of this with only one arm. maValentinee shows you that it doesn’t matter if you’re different from other people. Everyone can enjoy the game of Warzone and be good at it. Total Warzone domination with just one arm maValentinee plays Warzone with only one of his arms. His controller rests on his shoulder and he aims with his chin to take down enemies. In this clip he single-handedly clutches up to win the game for this squad with his FARA 83. The clip shows you just how difficult it is to aim with your chin, look at the screen, and win the game, all while your adrenaline is pumping. The community was in awe when this clip went viral and everyone had nice and supportive responses. One Redditor said he’s amazed by this because he struggles to just jump out a window let alone kill a whole team. maValentinee is getting support from everyone, and another Redditor said the streamer is inspirational to him and his son. He shared that his son also plays with just one arm and that it is amazing how they are able to do something that is so difficult to pull off. Comments continue to pour in on Reddit showing support for the streamer and having their mind blown that they can’t do this themslves. According to COD Tracker at the time of writing this, maValentinee has picked up over 7,500 kills and has 72 career wins.

Old-school CoD players want camping back – Dexerto
Old-school CoD players want camping back ActivisionMW3’s movement clips have enraged many of the game’s passive players, as many are clamoring for the return of the camping days. It’s been 16 years since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare exploded onto the gaming scene, setting the standard for FPS gaming for years to come. We’ve seen many games try to copy CoD‘s formula, but few have lasted as long as the FPS juggernaut. Since 2007, it’s safe to say multiplayer gaming has shifted a bit, as movement mechanics have evolved and gameplay formulas have changed to cater to faster playstyles. The recent Modern Warfare series has been a perfect example of that sentiment, as Infinity Ward’s design philosophy focused on a slower, more punishing pace of play. MW3‘s arrival has flipped the script on that slower play style, leaving some fans upset and begging for a return to the days of old. CoD players rip movement clips and want a return to “camping” The crux of this argument originated from Twitter/X user AgentOThom, as they said: “Absolutely despise multiplayer games now me. Can’t be arsed with how fast paced everything is now. What happened to camping,” in a quoted response to a player clip. In the clip, the player soared through Terminal with ease, as they melted foes with the Rival-9 and racked up an impressive killstreak. Usually, this type of response would garner a lot of traction for the opposite reason. Typically, players would flock to the replies and rip apart whoever shared this opinion. However, the replies were actually civil, as fellow CoD players shared their thoughts on what gaming has become. “Sitting in a window with both entrances claymored up. Good times,” one user replied. Another replied. “Just don’t understand how this can possibly be fun like. Feels like I’ve caught epilepsy just watching it.” Just don’t understand how this can possibly be fun like. Feels like I’ve caught epilepsy just watching it — Aled Williams (@AledWills91) November 20, 2023 A third user shared: “The little 5-year-olds don’t have the attention span to camp these days. The art of spending 90% of a game watching a door is dead.” Unfortunately for these players, CoD and many other titles will continue to shy away from the days of old, as the next generation of gamers look for faster games to hold them over.

OGRE2 explains how they chose Florida Mutineers Call of Duty roster – Dexerto
OGRE2 explains how they chose Florida Mutineers Call of Duty roster General Manager of the Florida Mutineers, Tom ‘OGRE2’ Ryan, discusses his move to Call of Duty esports, selecting their roster, and the inspiration behind the team’s name and branding. As one of the most legendary players in esports, Halo veteran OGRE2 won a staggering 40 tournaments in his decorated career, the most of a single competitor ever. He retired officially in 2016, and moved into coaching and management roles with both Evil Geniuses and Team Reciprocity. With such a wealth of experience, OGRE2 has moved on from competing to take on the general manager role with the Florida Mutineers – the Misfits-owned franchise in the 2020 Call of Duty League. The organization hasn’t yet revealed their roster, with the league not set to start until January 24, but fans are anticipating another star-studded lineup to represent Florida. We asked OGRE2 about his decision to join a CoD franchise, using his experience as an FPS pro, and how they’ve decided upon their starting lineup. Dexerto: The name ‘Mutineers’ is not something many people would have immediately associated with Florida – what does it represent for you guys? OGRE2: Florida actually has a long history with sea trade from colonial times, and there’s even an annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa that’s been happening since 1904. Floridians are proud of this history and part of the name Mutineers is about highlighting it to the world. Our take on being the Mutineers involves a Mutineers Code that we came up with to help explain what we’re all about. I. We are loyal to our crew. All for one and one for all. II. We are relentless in the pursuit of victory. III. Mediocrity is a term best saved for our competitors. IV. Throw shoulders or get thrown overboard We’re also running a contest right now for our community where fans can suggest the fifth and final rule in the Mutineers Code. We’re getting some great suggestions and we’re excited to have the community involved in this early stage of the team. Dexerto: The logo represents a Kraken – a hidden monster lurking beneath the waves – could this be a good metaphor for your roster? A team that some may overlook at first (given some of the star-studded lineups we’ve already seen), but will emerge to surprise the competition? OGRE2: The Kraken in our logo expresses the danger and mystery of life at sea as well as a spirit of adventure. We won’t announce our roster until November, but I will say that I think it’s a very strong roster with a lot of potential. Other teams can expect us to be competitive from the start of the season, although we’ll certainly have some surprises in store for them and our fans. Dexerto: There’s been a history of crossover between Halo players and Call of Duty players – FormaL, Crimsix and Enable are 3 of the biggest names in the game. We now have Shotzzy, Frosty and maybe more coming too, do you think these newcomers to CoD from Halo can have the same impact? OGRE2: Definitely. Shotzzy and Frosty are two of the most talented console gamers we’ve seen in the last 10 years. They’re both still young and hungry, and will thrive in Call of Duty if they put in the effort. Dexerto: We’ve seen a mix of experienced veterans and young stars join teams already – what was your decision making like for choosing the makeup of your roster? How do you ensure a balance of experience alongside upcoming talent? OGRE2: From my experience, a good mix of young talent with experienced players is always a great idea. We were shooting for something similar to this and I’m happy with the talent on our roster. Dexerto: For you personally, as a legend in Halo and esports generally, what was the attraction of moving into your new role with a Call of Duty franchise? OGRE2: The moves being made with the new league and Call of Duty esports in general are all very exciting. Joining in on such a healthy and thriving esports scene was a big attraction to me. Dexerto: How do you think your experience as a competitor, and winning competitor at that, will help you and the franchise – especially compared to GM’s without that kind of experience? OGRE2: I have unmatched experience in forming top rosters, including spotting young talent with great potential. I think a big part of it is also the respect that the players show towards me because of my experience. My personal relationships with the players is certainly different compared to other GMs who don’t have my experience as a pro player. That means we’ll take a different path as a team, which is a big part of what the Mutineers are about — being proud of doing things our own way. Please welcome @TomRyanOGRE2 as the General Manager of our Florida Call of Duty Franchise! Looking forward to building out our squad with you. More info :point_right: https://t.co/x90D11abis pic.twitter.com/HPOXagAEAn — Florida Mutineers (@Mutineers) August 26, 2019 Dexerto: Misfits already have experience with the franchised league model in the Overwatch League with the Florida Mayhem, have there been any lessons learned that are being implemented for the CoD team now? OGRE2: While there’s a lot going on behind the scenes at Misfits for the Call of Duty League, my focus right now is on the roster and getting settled in my new home in Florida. I’m strictly here for the Mutineers! Dexerto: Call of Duty has a long history of recognized brands, many of which are now gone – but the fans are still there. What’s the plan for attracting fans, outside of winning in-game? OGRE2: We have one of the best esports organizations behind us in Misfits Gaming, including an amazing content/media team. We’re starting with getting established in the Florida esports scene, and will look to conquering the world shortly after that :). The Mutineers, and all the other Call of Duty League teams, will be in action for the first time starting January 24, when the inaugural season begins in Minnesota.

Official Pools announced for $2 million CWL Championship 2019 – Dexerto
Official Pools announced for $2 million CWL Championship 2019 MLGThe Call of Duty World League has announced the official Pools for the upcoming $2 million CWL Championship that’s set to take place in August. On July 31, the CWL held the drawing to determine which teams will be grouped together in the Pool Play phase at Champs. The 32 total teams were divided into eight groups of four, featuring all 16 pro teams from the CWL Pro League and the 16 amateur squads that qualified by finishing in the top-16 of the Amateur Finals open bracket tournament held at the recent CWL Finals event. Pro teams occupy the top two seeds within each pool, based on their placement at the Pro League Playoffs, followed by amateur teams in the bottom two spots, also based on their own placements at the Amateur Finals. That being said, here are all eight official Pools at this year’s CWL Championship, which will be held in Los Angeles, CA from August 14-18. CWL Champs will be split into two phases – Pool Play and the Knockout Stage. During the first stage, teams within each group will face each other one time in a round-robin format, with each match being a best-of-five series. The top two teams from each Pool will then advance to the Knockout phase, which itself will be a double elimination bracket that will ultimately crown this year’s World Champions. Pool Play will take place August 14-15, but will not be open to the public, meaning that fans will not be able to see half of the teams play live prior to them being eliminated. The Knockout Stage (August 16-18) will be open to the public at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA. Information about purchasing tickets and how to attend can be found on the official event web-page HERE. Who will win CWL Champs 2019? While technically all 32 teams have some sort of chance at winning this year’s Champs, the actual favorites comes down to only a handful of squads. Bookmakers have given eUnited the best odds to win, and with good reason. Not only did eU finish in first place at CWL Finals, they also have made it to the Grand Final of two other tournaments this season (Vegas and London). Gen.G are also up there, having made it to the Grand Final of the previous two events (Anaheim and Finals), and despite losing on both occasions, have proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Despite their struggles in Miami, 100 Thieves still maintain a strong status as one of the favorites, as they’re the only team at Champs to have won multiple events this season (London and Anahiem). Rounding off the list of favorites are CWL Vegas winners OpTic Gaming, who have struggled of late but will always be taken seriously, and FaZe Clan, who’ve only impressed since purchasing Red Reserve’s spot in the Pro League in April.

Official Winners Bracket for the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs – Dexerto
Official Winners Bracket for the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs The regular season of the CWL Pro League Stage 2 has come to a close for both Divisions A and B and the full Playoff bracket is now set. The Playoffs will be held at the MLG Arena in Columbus, OH from July 27-29, and will feature a whopping $500K prize pool, $212,500 of which goes to first place. The Playoffs features a double-elimination format that puts the top two teams from each Division against the bottom two teams from the other Division. Here is the official bracket: From the eight total teams that have qualified, there are six from the North American region and two from Europe. Here are the Playoff teams and their rosters, in the order in which they finished in their respective Division. Division A Division B As one would expect at this stage of the competition, there are plenty of intense matchups and storylines waiting to be written in these Playoffs. Perhaps the most intriguing first round matchup is that of FaZe Clan vs OpTic Gaming. Of course it was FaZe who came all the way from the Losers Bracket to beat OpTic twice in the Stage 1 Grand Finals to take home the championship.

Official Call of Duty Twitch account hacked by troll promoting music – Dexerto
Official Call of Duty Twitch account hacked by troll promoting music The official Call of Duty Twitch channel was hacked on November 10, but instead of doing anything crazy, the hacker just made a decision to play music videos. For about five minutes on Sunday, the Call of Duty Twitch page was in control of a hacker who used the opportunity to promote various music videos, possibly in an effort to get their name out there to a wider audience. The streamer peaked at just over 7,000 viewers so while people did definitely see the music, it’s not clear if it’ll have any impact on exposure. It didn’t take long for Activision to take control of the channel back, and they cut off the broadcast in the middle of a music video. The chat was also cleared as viewers cheered on the hacker and sounded genuinely intrigued by the music that was playing. The VOD (video on demand) was also deleted, so there’s currently no evidence of it ever happening on Twitch. All things considered, things could have been a lot worse here as oftentimes you’ll see a hacker promote all sorts of inappropriate things, whether it’s adult content or even mass shootings. If you think back to May 2019, you’ll remember how the Artifact directory on Twitch was completely overrun by trolls who played nothing but movies, but one streamed the Christchurch mass shooting for a half-hour before it was taken down. That situation was a bit different from the Call of Duty one as that person potentially streamed on their own channel, so it was up to somebody to report it or for Twitch to notice before anything happened. Video game hacks have become all too common of late, especially when you consider that Fortnite just went down on November 9 during a competitive tournament, just a day before the Call of Duty hack. The CoD Twitch channel currently isn’t very active, but all of that is expected to change once the Call of Duty League kicks off in January.

Official Call of Duty Board Game is coming and it actually looks good – Dexerto
Official Call of Duty Board Game is coming and it actually looks good Activision / Arcane WondersActivision’s iconic FPS title Call of Duty is being released as a board game in 2024, whereby it has impressed skeptical board game fans after a surprising preview. Call of Duty: The Board Game was first announced by Activision in 2023 confirming a release in 2024 as long as the project hit its Kickstarter funding goal. After launching on the crowdfunding platform on August 1, the game smashed its target in just one day. First-person shooters such as CoD have long been known for their fast gameplay as players engage in high-intensity gun fights. This is a stark comparison to the board game world, which has typically been a lot more slow-paced. This has left many fans skeptical about the idea of a mainstream FPS title being converted into an IRL tabletop game. After a showing at the annual board game convention Gen Con 2023, the event allowed fans to play the game, which left attendees positively surprised at how good it actually was. The game has been mainly praised for its “clever” movement system. Attendees have said they were able to feel the: “tension of attempting to outthink your opponent”, complimenting its fast gunfights which have long been staples of the video game. Overall fans found the game: “surprisingly engaging” enjoying the different strategies players can take with a mix of both basic and advanced gameplay options. How do you play Call of Duty: The Board Game? Activision’s venture into board games was made possible by its partnership with war game developers Arcane Wonders who have made the game a reality. It has been described by the developers as an ‘action-strategy board game’ that similar to the video game version will be centered around warfare combat. It has also been revealed that each player gets to control an operator, such as CoD favorites Ghost or Shepherd, with the aim of the game being to wipe out your opponents through gunfights and capturing objective flags. The turn-based tabletop game combines the use of dice, cards, and tokens, as each player uses its operator on the map to make use of each turn through various strategies. The game has been reported to be full to the brim with everything fans love about Call of Duty. According to Arcane Wonders, players are able to call in Killstreaks, select their favorite weapons, use lethal equipment, and even time their reloads. As Activision is set to blast its way into board games, their latest video game release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been announced to release on November, 10.

Off-meta SMG is actually Warzone 2’s best with deadly TTK – Dexerto
Off-meta SMG is actually Warzone 2’s best with deadly TTK ActivisionThere’s an off-meta SMG in Warzone 2 that, according to the experts, is actually the best SMG to use in the battle royale. Here’s what you need to know. Over the last few months, the Warzone 2 meta has undergone a bit of a shake-up following multiple rounds of weapon balancing in Season 2 and Season 3. Previously dominant weapons like the RPK, ISO Hemlock, and M4 have been replaced by the Kastov 762, Cronen Squall, and the FJX Imperium – otherwise known as the Intervention – as a result of these changes. SMGs like the Vaznev-9k and Lachmann Sub remain the most popular, but the weapon category took a hit with the Season 3 changes as a number saw their headshot damage decrease. As a result, there is an off-meta choice that could get some love – and it has a lethal TTK. Best PDSW 528 loadout in Warzone 2 The SMG in question? Well, it’s the PDSW 528 – otherwise known as the P90. It was highlighted by WhosImmortal in his April 24 video on the best SMGs in Warzone 2 as he gave it that distinction. “It’s the best all-around SMG in the game right now, by far and away in my opinion,” the YouTuber said, noting that its mobility, recoil control, and TTK are all pretty “fantastic” following the recent balancing. His loadout is slightly different to the previous meta setups that players had been running, as he does away with the GR33 Light Rail and Hollow Extended Stock attachments. Muzzle: Lockshot KT85 – Laser: VLK LZR 7mw – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Comb: TV TACComb – Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip – As noted, the PDSW has slipped down the pick rate charts in recent weeks, now coming in with a 1.2% pick rate according to WZRanked stats. It had an almost 3% pick rate prior to Season 3, which would have put it comfortably inside the top 10 most-used weapons, so we’ll have to wait and see if it can get back to those heights.

Off-meta rifle has best TTK in Warzone 2 Season 4 as it melts enemies – Dexerto
Off-meta rifle has best TTK in Warzone 2 Season 4 as it melts enemies ActivisionThere is an off-meta weapon in Warzone 2 that has the “best” TTK for Season 4 and is basically the “Cronen Squall 2.0” after the new changes. Warzone 2’s Season 4 update made sure that the battle royale’s meta was going to undergo some change. Not only was a new, smaller map added in the form of Vondel, but player health was also significantly changed. In terms of weapon buffs and nerfs, only really the Cronen Squall was changed in a big way. However, given its recent stranglehold over the meta, that was enough to force players to overhaul their loadouts. As a result, the Lachmann 556 has taken over while the Squall has completely fallen off the map. While that version of the Lachmann may be the go-to weapon for most players, it isn’t actually Warzone’s deadliest bit of kit. Oh no, that honor goes to the Lachmann 762 – the battle rifle version. Best Lachmann 762 loadout in Warzone 2 Season 4 It was something that WhosImmortal pointed out in his June 24 video, noting that the Lachmann 762 has the best TTK in the new season and is basically the “Cronen Squall 2.0” now. “The Lachmann 762 in both full-auto and semi-auto, you can see it absolutely fries. This TTK is very fast for this health,” he said. “When you land shots with the 762, regardless of what fire mode it is in, this thing is going to absolutely melt. It can do it close range and it can do it over range as well. This is definitely the new Cronen Squall 2.0.” The stats really do back it up too. Up to fight across 20 meters, the 762 has a TTK of around 568ms, which rivals some SMGs. Beyond 60 meters, that increases to 686ms, which is quite something. Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision 40 – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity – Magazine: 50-round Drum – As noted, the 762 is certainly going under the radar at the minute. As per WZRanked stats, it has a pick rate of around 0.4% while its 556 counterpart is right at the top with a 19% pick rate. Some players might feel a little burnt by the 762 given that it was flying high in Season 2 before it got tweaked. If it becomes too dominant again, it’ll likely go under the knife and be changed, again, so that’s always a consideration. However, if you’re not using the fastest-killing gun in the game, you’re also doing yourself a disservice. So, give it a whirl at some point.

Odell Beckham Jr celebrates NFL touchdown with hilarious Warzone celebration – Dexerto
Odell Beckham Jr celebrates NFL touchdown with hilarious Warzone celebration Activision / Odell Beckham Jr.sWarzone is a game enjoyed by everyone, including high-profile sports players. NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. proved just that with this hilarious celebration after a touchdown for the Los Angeles Rams. Call of Duty Warzone has grown into one of the biggest names in gaming, attracting millions of players each and every month. And with Warzone Pacific tantalizingly close now, interest in the game has never been higher. But it isn’t just the average gamers who can’t resist dropping into the CoD battle royale. Plenty of big-name athletes have been known to enjoy a game or two, including Ronaldo Nazario. NFL superstar Odell Beckham was the latest to prove that he is a Warzone fan after he broke out an amazing celebration after bagging a touchdown for the LA Rams. Playing in the Rams’ 37-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the popular wide-receiver scored his team’s second touchdown of the match. What followed was a celebration that will be instantly recognizable to any Warzone player. After jumping into his teammate, Cooper Kupp, Beckham Jr. appeared to stumble and fall to the ground. He played it cool by pretending to have been knocked down by an enemy squad, and be in need of picking up. Luckily, he used a self-revive and was quickly back on his feet and into the fight. Metaphorically speaking, obviously. OBJ’s second TD as a Ram! Watch him hit the self-revive 🤣 (via @NFL)pic.twitter.com/hhC5WxP5RX — SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) December 5, 2021 What made the celebration even better is that his teammates seemed to be in on the joke, with Kupp running over to help his fallen comrade back to his feet. Keep an eye out for a full LA Rams clan roaming the streets of Caldera. After a glittering start to his NFL career, Odell Beckham Jr. has become one of the NFL’s biggest names. So, it’s great to see him giving a nod to the gaming community on one of the sport’s biggest stages. The only question is, which Warzone-related celebration will he go for next? Our guess is slide canceling across the end zone.

Odell Beckham Jr. & Trevor Noah beg for AUG nerf in Warzone – Dexerto
Odell Beckham Jr. & Trevor Noah beg for AUG nerf in Warzone Trevor Noah / Odell Beckham Jr. Instagram / ActivisionNFL star Odell Beckham Jr. and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, echoed the Warzone community’s plea for Activision to finally nerf Warzone’s AUG The rifle has been a heavy favorite among Call of Duty players especially after the Season 2 update. The AUG even cracked the top five most popular weapons to use in Warzone, but not everyone is digging its reign. It’s no secret that many A-list celebs drop into Activision’s massive battle royale, with some even participating in multiple charity events throughout Warzone’s lifetime. As fans of the game, Noah and OBJ had their own ways to tell the Call of Duty developers that there needs to be some weapon tuning to the AUG seeing how much it’s been tearing the servers. YALLLL GOTTTTA NERF THE AUG! Ur doinnnn toooo much 😭😭 @CallofDuty — Odell Beckham Jr (@obj) March 9, 2021 OBJ has been known to queue up in Warzone with the likes of FaZe Swagg and LeBron James Jr. while streaming on YouTube. On March 9, OBJ let his feelings on the AUG known, saying, “YALLLL GOTTTTA NERF THE AUG! Ur doinnnn toooo much.” Of course, the NFL wide-receiver made sure to let fans know that the criticism came from a good place, but the Warzone streamer did say that “the only thing stopping me from dubs right now” is the AUG. A little while later, Trevor Noah gave his brand of commentary on Warzone’s struggle with hackers as well as a nerf to the AUG, of course. Now that @Oprah has discombobulated the royal family, I hope she’ll interview @Activision and ask them why we can’t choose to play warzone against console only and avoid hackers on pc. 😩😩😩 And also nerf the aug…😭#OprahMeghanHarry #Warzone — Trevor Noah (@Trevornoah) March 9, 2021 “Now that Oprah has discombobulated the royal family, I hope she’ll interview Activision and ask them why we can’t choose to play Warzone against console-only and avoid hackers on PC,” Noah said. “And also nerf the AUG.” Warzone’s fight against hackers has been a long and documented road of frustration among players, especially since it’s easy to do without getting banned. Activision has a ton of bugs and player complaints to contend with, and there’s been mounting requests for the devs to also take a look at the AUG. It’ll be interesting to see if the Call of Duty creators will step in to nerf the AUG in the next Warzone patch, especially if it keeps getting high-profile traction.

Odell Beckham Jr reveals bizarre favorite Warzone loadouts – Dexerto
Odell Beckham Jr reveals bizarre favorite Warzone loadouts Activision / Flickr: Erik DrostCleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr might be one of the biggest stars in the NFL — but his choice for Warzone loadouts has left some fans scratching their heads. In the final days of September, with Season 6 ready to cause a stir in the Warzone meta, OBJ decided to start streaming his gameplay and picked up some gaming superstars to join him. A day after playing with Dr Disrespect, OBJ hit Verdansk with Chicago Huntsmen’s pro Call of Duty players Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper and got a couple more victories under his belt, too. But one thing that caught people’s eyes was the loadouts Beckham had constructed for his ventures, which don’t seem like they’d be particularly common. In his first loadout slot, Odell has his personal favorite class called “DAT JUICE” (not to be confused with another of his loadouts, simply “Dat JUICE”), which is an overkill loadout with two primary weapons: the Bruen Mk9 LMG and a HDR sniper in his back pocket. Two long-range weapons like this isn’t exactly a common strategy, with many players opting instead to have weapons that work best at opposing ranges — for example, most might pair a HDR with an MP5. That’s not all, though: he also has a loadout called “SNAP,” which once again features a HDR, but he’s tied it with a Kar98 marksman rifle too. Clearly, the man loves sniping. Impressively, he also has the Obsidian camo, so you can never say that OBJ isn’t a pure grinder in every sense of the word — even when it comes to Call of Duty. While other weapons have become more popular, especially with assault rifles such as the Kilo, M13 and M4 dominating the meta, Odell says that he sticks with the Bruen because he worked too hard to unlock it, which is a fair enough reason, to his credit. Are we likely to take inspiration from OBJ’s off-meta loadouts? Probably not, but he makes it clear that sniping is his forte and, to his credit, he gets the kills to justify it.

Odd Warzone glitch gives entire lobby a free win before match ends – Dexerto
Odd Warzone glitch gives entire lobby a free win before match ends ActivisionA new Call of Duty: Warzone glitch is a departure from the norm, as it rudely ends the match early before generously gifting every single player in the lobby a victory. Battling in the nooks and crannies of Verdansk can be a confusing experience. Maybe you have casually sauntered around a dark, empty building only to come face to face with a practically invisible, camping Roze skin. Or, even worse, maybe you’ve run into hackers who simply knew where you were despite all powers of Ghost and finesse movement combined. But the most confusing thing in Warzone is often when unintended things happen, such as dying to gas as someone abuses a stim glitch in the storm. Bugs and glitches have abused countless Verdansk warriors, from the stim glitch to the loadout freeze glitch and invisibility bugs. This latest glitch has a very different vibe to it, though. Instead of being exploited by a minority of cheating players, it simply gives the entire lobby a win. While that’s likely annoying for players on heaters, things could be way worse than receiving a Warzone participation trophy. In a video shared to Reddit by ‘LegendWho,’ their team was getting toward the end of a Solos match with about 50 players remaining when, suddenly, the game shifted to a kill cam. Like the “Final Kill” cam during multiplayer matches, a replay of the latest kill started playing and the in-game chat opened up. Very quickly, it was clear that nobody had any idea what was happening. The player had been casually driving around in a truck when they were joined by a variety of equally perplexed players as a wall of “eh?” and “what the f**k?” exclamations hit the game chat. At this point, it’s unclear what causes this glitch or how prevalent it is. In early February, a similar issue popped up where a team was given a win before landing, but that one was never confirmed to have been a win for every team in the lobby. Octane and Girlfriend Berta Hit Back at ‘CoDBurner’ Account for Spreading Rumors About OpTic – Dexerto
Octane and Girlfriend Berta Hit Back at ‘CoDBurner’ Account for Spreading Rumors About OpTic The infamous ‘CodBurner’ is back for the off-season rostermania, and is causing a stir in the community with a number of supposed insider tips on what the upcoming season holds. However, not everyone is pleased with the information being spread, which is all of course completely unverified. Previously, they have correctly predicted some roster situations, and other pro players have confirmed that there is certain things that only someone well connected could know. In a recent Reddit post, the CoDBurner was discussing various potential moves, when someone posed the possibility of OpTic Gaming making a change. The mysterious account replies that Evil Geniuses’ Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov is being eyed up, and explained who he would replace if the move went through: methodz. i know scump doesnt want to play w him in bo4. i think methodz only stays if it is 5v5 or if larew’s +1 pisses off the team and org more He clarified that by “larew’s +1” was referring to his long time girlfriend Berta, who didn’t take kindly to the suggestion, responding on Reddit: “you really have to learn that that’s not how comp cod works & you really have to learn info before you post it online. it’s literally up to the team & managers, not if the girlfriend gets along with anyone? & i’m friends with the org, i’m a mod in stream chats, like don’t drag me into this to get some attention. you look hella dumb.” Berta also took to Twitter to accuse the CoDBurner account, in a now deleted tweet: “this new codburner guy is a fake & has no idea what he’s talking about. damn, i hope to see the real one come back to shut this dude up” Octane himself later also took to Twitter to clear the speculation.
