  • New Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War easter egg teases future of Warzone – Dexerto

New Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War easter egg teases future of Warzone Activision[jwplayer UQSrvz25]While the new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War easter egg hunt has the community searching for clues on the 2020 release, a big tease for the future of Warzone appears to have gone under the radar. We’re further into a calendar year without confirmation on the upcoming CoD release than ever before. However, Activision has just begun to officially tease the 2020 release. Content creators came together on August 10 to unbox an enormous care package and piece together the first step in an ongoing puzzle. After hours of collective effort, NoahJ456 and his squad cracked the first part of the code. It all led to a mysterious website with the title: ‘pawn takes pawn.’ While there’s little to make out at this stage and fans are awaiting the next step on August 14, this site contains more information than first meets the eye. In fact, it points towards the future of Infinity Ward’s mega-popular battle royale in a big way. Here’s how Activision teased Warzone in the Black Ops Cold War easter egg. Black Ops Cold War easter egg teases Warzone If you take a close look at the website, there’s really not much to see. There’s an old CRT TV, a phone, a few chess pieces, along with a flashing VCR stuck at the 12-minute mark. This flash likely points to the since confirmed 12 PM PT time slot for the next step in the easter egg hunt. Beyond this, there’s not much to take away from the site. However, a subtle tease can actually be spotted in the background if you have a keen eye. Taking the image and massively bumping the brightness will reveal a map of Warzone’s Verdansk in the top right corner. No names or labels can be read due to the quality of the image. Though the outlines match up perfectly and a few distinct chunks of Verdansk can be seen. What could Activision be hinting at for the future of Warzone? Obviously nothing has been made official just yet. But, the fact that Verdansk has appeared in a new teaser all but confirms the battle royale will be present in the next release. Plenty of earlier leaks have hinted at this through new zones and new features, though this appears to be the first official teaser. There’s no telling exactly how the battle royale experience might continue forward. However, some players believe it could be pressing on by going backward. Given the Cold War era the next game is set in, this map could well be an earlier version of Verdansk, before the Hospital was built and before a train was crashing through the middle of the huge battle royale locale. It’s worth taking this information with a grain of salt until Activision confirms the future of Warzone. Though a teaser appearing alongside the Black Ops Cold War easter egg is certainly a positive sign. This could be indicative of what lies ahead for the battle royale experience. The next step in the elaborate puzzle is expected to be revealed at 12 PM PT on Friday, August 14. Keep your eyes peeled for more subtle Verdansk images in the background while the next CoD title comes to light.

  • New C4 Drone scorestreak spotted in Warzone: how it works – Dexerto

New C4 Drone scorestreak spotted in Warzone: how it works Activision-BlizzardCall of Duty Warzone players have spotted a new C4 Drone scorestreak in the game several times now, and it’s believed to be a part of the integration with Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Call of Duty: Warzone is expected to integrate with Black Ops Cold War ahead of its first season. It’s been pushed back from December 10 to December 16, which disappointed some fans, but it’s still not too far away. In the lead-up to the crossover, new ‘hidden’ scorestreaks have been popping up in Warzone. For example, the RC-XD scorestreak was discovered as a new contract in the training space. Others are expected to be hidden in the files too. Now, Warzone players have spotted an exciting new scorestreak several times. It’s a drone with a C4 attached on the bottom that players can pilot and drop on unsuspected enemies. Players have been able to do something similar by adding a C4, a standard drone, and flying it into an enemy squad. Fortunately, the new scorestreak makes it easier and more effective, since you can actually drop the C4. It looks fun to use and is particularly useful against large groups of enemies. However, it has sparked mixed reactions. Some believe it’s the perfect way to take out campers, while others think it’s going to be a pain. Here’s a better look at how it works. https://twitter.com/WarzoneNewz/status/1335302373087080451 Interestingly, it’s an entirely new scorestreak. In that sense, it’s different from the RC-XD, which was already included in Black Ops Cold War. This means it could get added to the base game as well. Either way, it’s only a matter of time before the integration between Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. The overlap is exciting enough, but throwing in new content like the C4 drone makes it even better. December 16 cannot come soon enough, and players will be looking forward to the benefits of bringing both games together.

  • New Call of Duty Blackout map Alcatraz – number of players, respawns and other details revealed – Dexerto

New Call of Duty Blackout map Alcatraz – number of players, respawns and other details revealed Treyarch made a shock April Fools’ announcement last night with the news of a new Call of Duty Blackout map. The previously teased Alcatraz prison will provide an entirely new setting to play Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode. Update: Alcatraz details revealed The new Alcatraz Blackout map is live! No update is required to play Alcatraz Portal – Quads. Ahead of the huge Alcatraz Blackout update, Call of Duty have revealed more details about the prison map. The main details are as follows: 40 players of 10 teams start the game – Can respawn every 30 seconds up to 5 times – No helicopter, spawn in random portals across the map – New feature: weapon wall buys where you are guaranteed to find a weapon every 30 seconds – Zombies not confirmed but are likely to be there – Hot Pursuit has been removed from the Blackout playlists. Alcatraz map Since Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout released in October 2018, there’s been one map to play on. Treyarch have done a stellar job of keeping the map fresh with season changes, new locations and the addition of new modes. Even so, the new map will add more hype to the already popular game. Alcatraz itself takes place on a small island with what is being dubbed as “close quarters battle royale”. Given this, and from how it appears in the trailer, Alcatraz will be significantly smaller than the normal Blackout map. How much smaller it will be, though, is currently unknown. Alcatraz will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 for one week before it becomes available on Xbox One and PC. What to expect The game itself isn’t changing, so you can expect all the signature Black Ops 4 gun mechanics and movement. However, the new map will almost certainly provide a different style of battle royale. The classic map predominantly hosts medium to long-range gun fights and it is certainly possible to keep it at that range, for the most part, if you prefer that style. Conversely, Alcatraz will force close quarters combat. In addition to this, the trailer suggested there will be respawns, similar to that of Hot Pursuit. It also appears that Alcatraz will provide some unique features. What these features will be is yet to be announced. Lead Video Game Designer for Treyarch, David Vonderhaar confirmed this on Twitter. Alcatraz works in some unique ways & has some unique features you need to know about. Full details being deployed over the next 24 hours. — David J. Vonderhaar (@DavidVonderhaar) April 2, 2019 Alcatraz update time The specific release time for the much anticipated Alcatraz map is unknown. However, previous updates have been available at around 10am PDT (1pm EDT and 5pm BST). Update download sizes range from 11gb to 17gb. Given the inclusion of the new Blackout map, this update will probably lean to the bigger side. Blackout free access It seems Call of Duty want as many players as possible to try the new map Alcatraz. Blackout will be free across all platforms (PS4, Xbox One and PC) from April 2 to April 30.

  • New Black Ops Cold War Zombies modes in Season 1: Jingle Hells & Cranked – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War Zombies modes in Season 1: Jingle Hells & Cranked TreyarchCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting two major Zombies features as part of the Season 1 update, including a holiday-themed mode. Zombies has always been one of the most unique and beloved modes in the Call of Duty franchise, allowing players to take a break from targeting each other and take on hordes of undead and terrifying creatures instead. With Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War arriving on December 16, 2020, Treyarch have revealed what fans can expect from the update, and there are some new features that should keep Zombies fans very happy. There’s no new Zombies map, unfortunately, but there is a new mode inspired by Call of Duty: Ghosts’ panic-inducing Cranked. There’s also a limited-time holiday theme for the Die Maschine map that gives the undead a festive makeover. Find out everything you need to know about Jingle Hells and Cranked in Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies below. Jingle Hells Zombies holiday playlist Black Ops Cold War will get a limited-time holiday mode called Jingle Hells that turns the Die Maschine map into “more of a winter wasteland than a wonderland” — although it’s promised there will be plenty of festive cheer involved. As well as purely visual additions like decorations and holiday-themed zombies, there will also be a variety of new firepower including snowballs that can freeze zombies, stocking power-ups, presents you can extract from enemies, and “special surprises” inside the snowmen. Read More: What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 1 – Treyarch have confirmed this is a launch week playlist, so you can expect to see these festive zombies attack as soon as you’ve completed your Season 1 update. Cranked Zombies mode Another limited-time addition for Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is the Ghosts-inspired Cranked mode, which sounds like it will get your heart pounding even more than a traditional round of Zombies. Players will need to keep one eye on the countdown timer and the other on zombie-killing, as too long without a zombie takedown will lead to them exploding. There is a Cranked power-up, though, which will grant a small breather before the carnage continues. Read More: FaZe Blaze sets absurd Zombies world record – There’s no official release date for Cranked in Zombies yet. Treyarch have said it will drop ‘In Season’ meaning it won’t be available during launch week, but should come soon after.

  • New Black Ops Cold War trailer reveals possible look at next Warzone map – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War trailer reveals possible look at next Warzone map TreyarchA new video for Black Ops Cold War’s Fireteam multiplayer mode may have given the Call of Duty community its first look at the next battle royale map in Warzone. [jwplayer L7zZP3SQ] When Activision confirmed that Warzone would continue to exist beyond Modern Warfare, many came to the conclusion that either a whole new BR map would be released or massive changes would be made to the current one. In either case, we may have gotten our first glimpse at what Warzone will look like in Black Ops Cold War, thanks to the new trailer released for the Fireteam: Dirty Bomb mode in the BOCW Beta. At several points in the video, there are shots shown that closely resemble what the battle royale looks like. For example, there’s this view of a player dropping down with a parachute in a fashion very similar to Warzone. We also have a brief view of a massive military-style plane, just like the one that flies over Verdansk and drops players off. This ties in with a video that dataminers dug up and posted on Reddit – the file was called “wz_startscreen” and features a slideshow of images from the two large-scale Fireteam maps, even before they were officially revealed. Those of you who may discount this theory or think it’s too big of a stretch would do well to remember that Activision teased Warzone way before it was even officially announced. They went as far as to even include glimpses of the battle royale in the Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer in May of 2019, almost a whole year before it was released. Furthermore, several of MW’s bigger maps, specifically in Ground War, are based on Warzone locations, and vice-versa, so it’s perfectly plausible for Treyarch to use these large-scale terrains for both Fireteam and as points of interest on the new BR map. There’s also overwhelming speculation, based on several leaks, that there will be a nuclear event in Verdansk that’ll transform the map completely to fit within the world of BOCW, which would explain why these new areas are so different from what we’re used to seeing in WZ.

  • New Black Ops Cold War patch has broken Pack-A-Punch in Zombies – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War patch has broken Pack-A-Punch in Zombies Treyarch StudiosThe Pack-A-Punch is an essential tool to defeat the hordes of zombies that have become an essential part of every Black Ops game. However, the new patch in Cold War has broken the iconic weapon enhancer. Everyone knows that in order to get the real zombies experience, you need the famous Pack-A-Punch. The Element 115-infused machine offers players the chance to upgrade their weapons into perfect zombie slayers. It’ll be essential that you know how to use the Pack-A-Punch to it’s maximum potential this Christmas season, as the new Jingle Hells mode will have players battling the undead on a snowy Die Maschine map. If you want to make it to Christmas, you’ll need the Pack-A-Punch. However, with the most recent patch to the game there have been some serious issues regarding the weapon enhancer. New Cold War update breaks Pack-A-Punch According to reddit user Filtiarne, the newest Cold War update is rendering the Pack-A-Punch completely useless in Zombies matches. In Filtiarne’s post, they describe the machine as making “all the attachments drop onto the floor” when attempting to upgrade your weapon. They continue, stating that ‘all you can do is stand there and look at your attachments until they de-spawn and then crash out of the game once dogs spawn.’ The post has received hundreds of upvotes, with multiple responders complaining about the same weapons bug. Treyarch respond A quick response from Treyarch Studios, the masterminds behind the Zombies experience, informed the playerbase that they are aware of the issues mentioned in the post. Treyarch Community Manager Josh Torres, aka FoxhoundFPS, explained in the comments that “we’re aware of both of these issues and have released a fix for the plaguehound related crashing issues.” Hopefully a fix will be found for this soon, as what’s the point in a Zombies run with no upgrades? All CoD fans want for Christmas is to pop heads and obliterate the undead; will they be able to?

  • New Black Ops Cold War Operator revealed for Warzone Season 1 – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War Operator revealed for Warzone Season 1 ActivisionThe next Operator coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been revealed as Russian Warsaw Pact member Vikhor ‘Stitch’ Kuzmin, coming to the game at the start of Season 1 on December 16. Season 1 has been delayed slightly from its initial December 10 release date, while Treyarch makes sure everything is up to scratch and ready to go on launch day, and we know some details about what’s coming. We are already aware that some maps will be coming to the game, including a remake of Black Ops 2’s Raid, as well as a “new classified Warzone experience,” but some stuff has still been kept under wraps. One of these things is the newest Operator set to grace Black Ops Cold War and, probably, Warzone when it’s integrated in Season 1. Now, though, thanks to a website found while doing a new Call of Duty quest, we’ve discovered that Stitch is to be the next Operator — and he looks like one of the most hardened members of the Operator roster. Discovering a unique URL, CharlieINTEL visited 673763436741.com and managed to crack the codes, which led them to all of this information regarding the new character. Here’s what we know about him so far. Vikhor ‘Stitch’ Kuzmin DOB: 08/14/1938 – Nationality: Russian – Birthplace: Moscow – Faction: Warsaw Pact – Blood Type: B+ – First Language: Russian – Service: Ex-KGB – Service Record 1959 – Graduates Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology – Faculty of Technology of Organic Substances and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. – 1959 – Joins KGB Operations and Technology Directorate, assigned Laboratory 12 R&D facility. – 1965 – Assigned to manage production facilities on ███████ ██████, reporting directly to Colonel Kravchenko. – 1968 – Captured and interrogated by the CIA following a raid on the ███████ facility. Loses an eye to CIA Agent Russell Adler during interrogation but gives up nothing other than his name and rank. For failing to repel the CIA operation, Kravchenko has him stripped of his rank, and sent to the Petropavlovsk Gulag. – 1976 – An attack on the Gulag by a small team of unknown operatives leaves many guards and prisoners dead. In the aftermath, he is discovered to be missing. – Peer Assessment Initial contacts made in 1970 revealed a broken man questioning his loyalties to a state that had abandoned him. Driven by a burning hatred for Russell Adler, the CIA agent that had taken his eye and cost him everything – as well as of his former commanding officer, Kravchenko – he was open and receptive to our vision for Greater Russia. His singular drive will make him an excellent asset, and his first-hand knowledge of Project Nova will be invaluable in achieving our goals. That’s what we know about the Operator so far — we haven’t yet got to have a peek at what exactly Stitch will look like, but he sounds particularly intimidating, and could definitely sway some players away from their favorite Operators in the game. Stitch is expected to incorporate seamlessly into Warzone alongside all of the current Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare Operators, so expect to see a scary new face in Verdansk, too, on December 16.

  • New Black Ops Cold War loadout makes pistols absolutely insane – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War loadout makes pistols absolutely insane ActivisionA new class setup in Black Ops Cold War makes pistols absolutely incredible, with huge range and damage stats to match even the most frustrating shotguns in the game. [jwplayer MSpVmKRG] As with every new FPS release, the opening days of Black Ops Cold War has been a great time for players to find the most powerful weapon in the game and their favorite loadouts, such as the ‘negative recoil’ AK-47. While the meta is starting to form, with weapons such as the AK, MP5, and M16 dominating public matches, you might have to start thinking about which secondaries are best. Whether you prefer running a Gallo shotgun or a launcher to take down enemy Spy Planes, you’re going to want to reconsider, as these akimbo Magnums look absolutely deadly. If you’ve played many CoD games in the past, you’ll likely know akimbo or dual wield pistols are very powerful, but this takes it to a whole new level. With the huge array of attachments available on weapons in Black Ops Cold War, it’s possible to max out your Magnum with the right attachments to make it almost unstoppable in the right hands, according to YouTuber Acez Gaming. Here’s what attachments he uses on his Magnum pistols to max out their damage and range and make them a force to be reckoned with: Muzzle: Infantry Compensator – Barrel: 7.22” Task Force – Body: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight – Magazine: Salvo 12 RND Fast Mag – Stock: Dual Wield – Loadout is at 1:04 The main issue with this is that your Magnum has to be max level to unlock all of these attachments, so you’re going to have to grind a fair bit — but the rewards are well worth it, as you can easily take out enemies at medium to long ranges if your shot is crisp, and with extended magazines and fast reloads, you should never be struggling to lay down shots on an enemy. The main issue will be hitting your shots accurately, but if you use these enough, you should get enough practice for your aim to be near-perfect. The best part is, though, that these are only secondary weapons: pair it with your favored primary weapon and you will be racking up the kills in no time!

  • New Black Ops Cold War leak reveals unreleased campaign footage – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War leak reveals unreleased campaign footage Activision BlizzardA Call of Duty leaker has revealed unreleased footage of a cutscene from the upcoming Black Ops Cold War campaign and indicated that about 18 other cutscene clips are available as well. Using an alternate account to avoid DMCA strikes from Call of Duty’s developers, reputable leaker ‘BKTOOR’ has showcased a 31-second clip of a cutscene from Treyarch and Raven Software’s upcoming Black Ops Cold War title. While some official screenshots and various content have been revealed for the game’s campaign, multiplayer, and zombies modes, this is the first time that substantial campaign footage has been leaked. With the upcoming CoD game debuting on November 13 (around a month after its open beta goes live), fans who are interested in some very light spoilers of the campaign can check out BKTOOR’s video now. https://twitter.com/BKT0OR/status/1312496853305315330 If you don’t want any spoilers at all, feel free to ignore the video and maybe stay off of Twitter for a little. In a later tweet, BKTOOR showed a folder that appears to contain 18 more similarly sized video files, suggesting that many more cutscenes could find their way to the public’s eyes within the near future. In the video, players get to see a scarred, sunglass-rocking character overseeing an aircraft carrier loaded with helicopters and fighter jets, as one jet gets loaded up with undisclosed items and takes off. This doesn’t spoil much but does let eager fans know that at least some part of the campaign will feature a degree of naval scenery. As for the rest of the scenery, a variety of locations have been alluded to by some of the file names within BKTOOR’s folder. اثبات بقية المقاطع السينمائية عند المصدر pic.twitter.com/NIfpbT0cXU — ᴮᴷᵀᴼᴼᴿ (@BKTOOR_) October 3, 2020 The files indicate that a variety of different locations feature loading movies in BOCW. Of the 18, 10 appear to be for the campaign, six for the multiplayer maps, and two for Warzone. Just looking at the file names for the campaign, it seems that the story will take place across countries like Germany, Vietnam, Nicaragua, and Russia — including at Mount Yamantau amidst the Ural Mountains. For now, employees from Activision Blizzard have yet to respond and BKTOOR’s video and folder remain available for public viewing. It will be interesting to monitor what else CoD fans can dig up from these files and see if more content gets revealed as the game nears its official release.

  • New Black Ops Cold War data reveals true power of game’s best guns – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War data reveals true power of game’s best guns TreyarchAn in-depth breakdown of Black Ops Cold War has revealed the true damage, time to kill, and plenty more for the game’s most powerful weapons. [jwplayer pHIlNffX] The gunsmith in Black Ops Cold War is a step forward in one key way. Toggling over to the advanced statistics on a particular gun reveals more information than any game prior. We have more insight into the exact values of certain categories than ever before. Though is this information completely accurate? Does it provide all of the most important data? Not entirely. Thankfully, popular Call of Duty YouTuber ‘TheXclusiveAce’ has put the work in and manually reviewed every weapon in the new release. From the raw damage of each gun to the accurate TTK, we now know the true power of the best loadouts. Here are the biggest takeaways from Xclusive’s Cold War weapon data. Guns with the quickest TTK in Black Ops Cold War If you’ve been playing since launch, this topic should come as no surprise. While the MP5 led the charge early on, Tactical Rifles have dominated since the SMG nerf. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this is a result of their extraordinary TTK. While other factors such as bullet velocity and rate of fire aren’t anything noteworthy, the TTK reigns supreme by a large margin. The M16 and the AUG come in with the best TTK of any weapons in the game at 132 and 154 milliseconds respectively. Do bear in mind, however, that these values are noted as an absolute minimum, not the average. While the two Tac Rifles stand out from the pack, there’s one surprising weapon that also features a shockingly fast TTK. The KSP 45 SMG, an underutilized weapon for the time being, boasts a 166 ms TTK and comes with the best bullet velocity of any gun in the game. Weapons with the best damage in Black Ops Cold War While TTK is obviously important, raw damage output is vital as well. Oftentimes enemies will already be tagged, so landing just one or two shots will seal the deal. That’s where the higher damage output will come in handy. In terms of SMGs, the KSP 45 leads its class with 50 damage per bullet – 8 damage higher than the Milano 821. For Assault Rifles, the AK-47 narrowly leads at 38 damage, though the Krig is right behind at 35 damage per shot. Fastest weapons in Black Ops Cold War If your goal is to be sprinting through the map and moving as fast as possible, there are few factors to keep in mind. ADS speed, Sprint Out time, and of course, your base movement speed are all significant. For the best ADS speed of any primary weapon in the game, the Milano 821 is the gun for you. Without any attachments, it comes in 25ms faster than any other SMG at just 250ms. It also leads when it comes to Sprint Out time at 233ms, tied for first with the MP5 and the Bullfrog. Last but not least, all SMGs come with the fastest movement speed in the game, tied with Shotguns and Sidearms. Those are just some of the highlights from the massive Cold War breakdown. You can check the full list of information from TheXclusiveAce right here. Keep in mind these are just the base statistics as well. These values will only improve with attachments. To truly get the most out of these standout weapons, here’s a rundown on some of the best loadouts in Black Ops Cold War.

  • New Black Ops Cold War content released: Warzone UGR SMG, Operator & classic map – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War content released: Warzone UGR SMG, Operator & classic map ActivisionBoth Warzone and Black Ops Cold War are getting a boost in the form of a new operator and the high-powered UGR SMG. Additionally, BOCW welcomes a classic Call of Duty map back into the fold. The May 6 update brought out a lot of new content for Black Ops Cold War, which means Warzone will be inheriting a couple of those additions as well. From the return of a fan-favorite multiplayer map to the arrival of a unique new SMG, here’s how it all breaks down. New Operator and Weapon in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone The biggest addition to both games is the UGR SMG, a brand-new underwater rifle that has been modified for use on the surface. Players will be able to unlock the weapon by completing an in-game challenge, similar to how weapons like the M1916 and Nikita AVT operate in Season 3. It’s a bit different from fast-firing subs like OTs-9 or the Mac 10 in that it shoots higher caliber ammunition at a medium pace. Another big change is the addition of Eleazar “Lazar” Azoulay, who fans might remember from the Cold War campaign, as a playable operator in both games. Lazar was instrumental in the hunt for Perseus, making him one of the most popular parts of the game’s narrative and an obvious choice to join the fight. As of now the only way to get Lazar is by purchasing the “Lazar Operator Bundle” in the in-game Store. In addition to the base Operator, players will also receive some other goodies alongside him: Lazar’s “The Broker” Operator Skin, – “Dealmaker” SMG Blueprint – “Dealbreaker” Assault Rifle Blueprint – “Unlikely Volunteer” Finishing Move – “Standard Issue” Accessory – “Skeleton Fish” Charm – “Swamp Beast” Calling Card – “Bog Demon” Emblem – “Fixer” Reticle – “Refresher” Gesture. – Cold War fans will also get to jump back into the fan-favorite Jungle map from the original Black Ops. Last seen in Black Ops 4, Jungle is one of the most iconic maps in the entire series, so it should fit in comfortably in all of the various 6v6 playlists. That’s everything in this update, but there is more Cold War content coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned for any future updates regarding Treyarch’s latest outing.

  • New Black Ops Cold War content announced: Classic CoD map, Warzone weapons, more – Dexerto

New Black Ops Cold War content announced: Classic CoD map, Warzone weapons, more ActivisionDespite Vanguard being in focus, Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War still has all new content in development as classic CoD maps, fresh weapons, and Operators have been revealed for a nearby update. Bucking the trend of past CoD’s being left in the dust as new titles steal the spotlight, 2020’s Black Ops Cold War still has even more content yet to come. While the current focus may be on Warzone’s major Season 3 update, Treyarch got ahead of the content dump with a big announcement of its own on April 14. It turns out, new Cold War content is currently in development. From the return of classic maps to the addition of unique weapons that may very well impact Warzone’s meta, there’s plenty on the horizon. Cold War’s latest update arrived on March 4, breathing new life into the multiplayer experience with a revamped WMD map along with the Vargo 52 Assault Rifle. Following up on this surprise content drop, Treyarch is now set to deliver yet another similarly sized update in the “not-too-distant future.” Headlining the next patch is another classic Black Ops map, Jungle. Having made its debut in 2010, the layout quickly became a fan favorite and has since been ported to multiple Treyarch titles. This newly updated version of Jungle is set to join all standard 6v6 playlists in Cold War. Also bundled into the next content drop is an “all-new ranged weapon,” Treyarch confirmed. While details are scarce for now, we do know that this gun will be accessible not just in Cold War, but also in Warzone. This means battle royale players can also expect a slight change to the meta in Season 3 and beyond, when another ranged weapon joins the mix. From a unique Sniper to an additional AR, we’ll have to wait and see exactly what’s added through Cold War. Moreover, one extra Operator is also set to join the fight. Treyarch teased a “familiar face from the Campaign,” but there’s no telling for certain who that might be. While that’s it for the next big update, even more content is planned for further drops later this year. Melee weapons, Operator Skins, Blueprints, Finishing Moves, Calling Cards, Charms, and Emblems are all in the pipeline so expect plenty of fresh cosmetics over the coming months. We’ll be sure to keep you posted here once patch dates are announced for these upcoming Cold War updates.

  • New Black Ops 4 Multiplayer weapon leaked by Call of Duty app – Dexerto

New Black Ops 4 Multiplayer weapon leaked by Call of Duty app ActivisionSpectre specialist from Black Ops 3, added a few new game modes like Prop Hunt, and even updated the current Blackout map by bursting the Hydro Dam. Yet, they have been beaten to the punch on announcing a new weapon from an upcoming update by the Call of Duty mobile app and it’s handy stat tracking capabilities. What is the new Black Ops 4 weapon? Several fans on the Black Ops 4 subreddit posted their screenshots of a new weapon name that had appeared on the Call of Duty Mobile app under their combat record. Known as the S6 Stingray, the weapon appeared under the tactical rifles category – joining the currently available ABR, Swordfish, and Auger DMR. However, the combat record doesn’t detail what stats the gun has, so its name is the only detail we know about this mysterious weapon. When will it be released? While there is no confirmed release point for the new weapon, it may not take all that long to see it in-game. Following the release of the recent Spectre Rising operation, new weapons have been confirmed for the upcoming Days of Summer campaign. Even then, plans, for one reason or another, could change and we may never see the gun released by Treyarch – and this appearance of a name on the app may just be a mistake. Yet, it also wouldn’t be the first time that a Black Ops 4 weapon is discovered and withheld from release for an unknown reason. • New Black Ops 4 specialist teaser hints at EMP equipment possibly coming soon – Dexerto

New Black Ops 4 specialist teaser hints at EMP equipment possibly coming soon PlayStation has teased what appears to be a new specialist coming to Black Ops 4, and the teaser could be hinting at some form of EMP ability. With ten specialists at launch, fans expected new specialists to be added to the game with more abilities, and it looks like the first new character will be coming to multiplayer soon. Expected to release on December 11, the character is shown in the distorted trailer holding some kind of equipment, but it is the tagline which gives it away. There are no other details on the specialist character, and the video gives very little footage of the character model itself, so it is impossible to say at this point if it is a returning specialist from Black Ops III, or a new specialist entirely. Some fans have been asking for the return of the ‘Spectre’ specialist from Black Ops III, which had the camo ability as well as the ‘Ripper’ weapon, and so this is one possible option for inspiration with the new Black Ops 4 specialist. Another possibility could be taking inspiration from ‘Outrider’ – as her Vision Pulse ability now belongs to Recon, could Treyarch be repurposing her as an EMP wielding character? Scump reveals how strong the Saug SMG is on LAN following OpTic’s CWL Vegas bootcampOf course, the new specialist may have no basis in a Black Ops III specialist at all, or could be a mix, such as Black Ops 4’s ‘Recon’, who is a new specialist character but has the Vision Pulse ability from ‘Outrider’.

  • New Black Ops 4 leaks hints at return of fan-favorite Black Ops 2 weapon – Dexerto

New Black Ops 4 leaks hints at return of fan-favorite Black Ops 2 weapon TreyarchBlack Ops 4 fans will be torn to hear about a familiar new weapon making its way onto the battlefield as a January 17 leak revealed a weapon that caused devastating damage in Black Ops 2. Every Call of Duty game always has that one weapon type or item that reigned supreme and now it looks like a cousin of on such weapon will be coming to Black Ops 4. In a post, Reddit user Joshwoocool uploaded a video of the Kap-45, a fully automatic pistol that closely resembles the Kap-40 from Black Ops 2, being used in what seems to be a promotional montage of the reveal for the latest Call of Duty. From what is seen in the video, the gun will be a helpful secondary weapon that can cause just as much pain as a primary. YouTuber TheXclusiveAce noted that the Kap-45 was previously seen in Black Ops 4, if only briefly, through a thumbnail image in the Blackjack Shop which featured the gun in a cherry blossom skin. Black Ops 2’s Kap-40 similarly was a nuisance to deal with, as many Call of Duty vets might remember players infinitely running around while dual-wielding the gun to great effect. No official details have been released on the gun, so fans should be in eager anticipation to see how much power the pistol will be given at its launch. Black Ops 4’s first event, Operation: Zero, brought new guns to the fray, but the event still has a ways to go before wrapping up. If the gun were to make an appearance in the game, it would presumably be at the end of the event, unless Treyarch decide to add it in on the fly.

  • New Black Ops 4 glitch is allowing players early access into League Play hub – Dexerto

New Black Ops 4 glitch is allowing players early access into League Play hub With League Play just around the corner in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, an odd glitch in the game is giving players a taste of what they can expect. On February 19, Reddit user ‘MalarRobert’ posted an image online that showed him already in what appears to be the in-game ‘World League Hub’ of Black Ops 4. The image shows his on-screen character in an arena-like area that has five red and blue banners in the background, each displaying a different Specialist. The rest of the screen is filled with standard Multiplayer UI, including several options such as Create a Class, Scorestreaks, Map Select, and more. In addition to the image, MalarRobert also posted a video on Reddit showing himself accessing the hub, although there doesn’t appear to be much to do yet. Many users were quick to notice that the image looked very similar to one that was leaked over five months ago when Black Ops 4 was still in beta. At the time, the leaked image was grabbing all of the headlines as it not only confirmed the League Play was going to be in Black Ops 4 but, more importantly, that the competitive format was going to be switching to 5v5. Remember to follow us @DexertoINTEL and monitor the Dexerto Call of Duty page to get regular updates about League Play and the World League Hub.

  • New Black Ops 4 Blackout game mode leaked – UPDATE: Treyarch confirm – Dexerto

New Black Ops 4 Blackout game mode leaked – UPDATE: Treyarch confirm A new game mode for Black Ops 4 Blackout seems to have been revealed a little early by the official Call of Duty companion app. Update: Treyarch have now confirmed that Ambush will be the next limited time mode coming to Blackout. Blackout is Black Ops 4’s new battle royale mode, and it’s proved to be pretty popular since the release of the game. Now, another mode called “Ambush” is coming to Blackout, after details were posted on the official Call of Duty app. In addition to limited weapons, the circle around the safe zone doesn’t stop collapsing once it starts. The image also mentions that the Skulker, Dead Silence and Outlander perks will be particularly helpful in the new mode as well. Blackout has been pretty popular with Call of Duty fans since its open beta before Black Ops 4 even came out, and the variety provided by Ambush should be a welcome addition to the mode. Treyarch just introduced another new LTM mode called “Down But Not Out” in their latest update for Black Ops 4, and said they would be bringing more new limited time modes to the game in the future. There’s no word yet on when exactly Ambush will be available to play, but Down But Not Out is available until January 30, so it’s a safe bet to say Ambush will be available sometime after that.

  • New Barebones ‘no Specialists’ playlist coming soon to Black Ops 4 – everything we know so far – Dexerto

New Barebones ‘no Specialists’ playlist coming soon to Black Ops 4 – everything we know so far Call of Duty developers Treyarch have confirmed that the highly anticipated Barebones playlist will be making its debut soon in Black Ops 4 Multiplayer. During their special Studio Livestream on March 25, Treyarch developers gave players a glimpse at what they should expect from Barebones once it goes live in Multiplayer. Since it was first announced several weeks ago, players have been eagerly waiting for the release of Barebones, especially since it was the “no Specialist” playlist that everyone had been asking for. What is Barebones? Barebones is a Multiplayer playlist in Black Ops 4 that strips away some of game’s more advanced and modern aspects and essentially boils gameplay down to the more classic battle involving just weapons and scorestreaks. In this playlist, players will not be able to use Specialist equipment or abilities, weapon Operator Mods, or Gear, such as Stim Shot, Armor, Acoustic Sensor, etc… Furthermore, regular equipment, such as grenades or trophy systems, will be available once per life and will not recharge after being used within a single life. The playlist will not be completely old school, however, as Treyarch have decided to keep in manual healing and For of War within Barebones. When does Barebones go live? The Barebones playlist is set to go live when the next major Black Ops 4 update releases on March 25, most likely at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM GMT. As for how long this playlist will be available remains to be seen, as Treyarch have not yet announced an end date for Barebones. What modes will be available in Barebones? The first two Multiplayer modes to be available in the Barebones playlist will be Team Deathmatch and Domination, although Treyarch have pretty much confirmed that more modes will be added down the line. There will also be a Barebones Hardcore Moshpit available for Hardcore players, and this Moshpit will also just feature TDM and Domination at the start. You can watch Treyarch’s Black Ops 4 Studio Livestream in its entirety down below, with the Barebones section starting at the 1:03:05 mark Make sure to follow us @DexertoINTEL as we will provide more information about the upcoming update in Black Ops 4, including the full patch notes, as soon as it becomes available.

  • New AS VAL shoots through unlimited walls in Modern Warfare & Warzone – Dexerto

New AS VAL shoots through unlimited walls in Modern Warfare & Warzone Infinity WardWhat appears to be a major glitch with the new AS VAL Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare and Warzone has been discovered, allowing the weapon to kill enemies through multiple walls with no damage penalty. [jwplayer FyNohfvK] Although bullet penetration has been in Call of Duty since the original Modern Warfare in 2007, usually it’s limited to just one wall or surface, and there’s usually a significant damage drop-off when shooting through a solid object. However, with a specific attachment, the AS VAL, added in the Season 6 update, doesn’t care at all how many solid walls are in its way — it will simply take down opponents all the same. After some players noticed very strong bullet penetration with the 10 round mags attachment, one player decided to push the theory to its limit, with surprising results. On the St. Petrograd multiplayer map, the player used split-screen to show how extreme this bug is. The opposing player stood on the opposite side of the map, with approximately SIX whole walls between them. “So walls have no affect on the 10 round mags for the Val,” the player wrote, posting the clip to Twitter. In it, he’s able to put down the enemy player in only three shots – as if he was standing right in front of him, not the other side of the map. So walls have no affect on the 10 round mags for the Val @eColiEspresso #PS4sharehttps://t.co/0wUf9Ep3bB pic.twitter.com/Mg8tAzrNqD — WhiteChicken (@WhiteChicken7_) September 30, 2020 You may now be asking yourself, what about FMJ? The player who shared this clip, @WhiteChickenYT, explains that using the FMJ weapon perk actually makes the bullet penetration worse on the AS VAL, not better. Perhaps this is because it corrects the penetration to the values it should be at, rather than the clearly broken ones with the 10 round mag attachment. Of course, using the 10 round mag does also put you at a bit of a disadvantage in regular gunfights, where you might find yourself having to reload a lot more often. But, in Warzone, this could work as the perfect back-up weapon: something to finish off opponents as they run for cover, because with the 10 round mags, cover is no obstacle for the AS VAL.

  • New AR gameplay footage leaked ahead of Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 6 – Dexerto

New AR gameplay footage leaked ahead of Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 6 Infinity Ward[jwplayer zuyKJXcG] Despite being close to the launch of Black Ops Cold War, it seems like Infinity Ward isn’t slowing down the release of weapons in Modern Warfare, as footage for yet another gun, this time an assault rifle, has leaked. With Black Ops Cold War quickly approaching in November, it’s expected that the upcoming Season 6 of Modern Warfare will be the last of the game’s life cycle, so there’s probably one more big wave of new content awaiting the player-base. Recent leaks have suggested that, as usual, Modern Warfare will be getting several new weapons as part of S6, since every new season always comes with two guns at the start and one more midway through. The latest leak, which comes courtesy of prominent CoD dataminer BKTOOR_, is for an assault rifle apparently called the AS VAL, which is likely going to be one of those three weapon releases. اول قيمبلاي لسلاح Valpha معروف بالحقيقة باسم As Val First Gameplay of new ARpic.twitter.com/wV2VUyyLsd— ᴮᴷᵀᴼᴼᴿ (@BKTOOR_) September 6, 2020 As with previous leaked content, certain details from the weapon are missing, including the reload sounds, the inspect audio, and outside textures. Clearly, this footage is from early in the gun’s development, but it could be that it’s simply just old and Infinity Ward have already been fully finished the gun. From what we can tell, however, the assault rifle has a high fire rate, decent reload time, extremely clear iron sights, and moderate recoil, which could make it very formidable in both multiplayer and Warzone. Some users are even calling it “the vector of the assault rifles,” a reference to the powerful SMG from CoD Ghosts that was firmly part of that game’s meta. Interestingly enough, the Vector was remastered and repackaged before it was brought back in Season 4 as the Fennec. This isn’t the only weapon for which gameplay has been leaked since the start of Season 5. Footage of both the R700 sniper rifle from Call of Duty 4 and the AA-12 shotgun from Modern Warfare 2 were also released by the same dataminer. Interestingly enough, both those guns made their respective debuts in past CoD titles, while this AS VAL appears to be totally new to the series. That’s not totally unprecedented, however, since Season 5’s ISO SMG is also a new addition. Of course, there’s no way of knowing for sure if all or any of them will be released during Season 6. In theory, all three could appear – two at the very start and one with the midseason update, which is the likeliest scenario. As always, make sure to follow us on Twitter @DexertoINTEL for all the latest leaks, news, updates, guides, and more.

  • New 420 Day CoD bundle turns players into joints and it’s already being called the “best” – Dexerto

New 420 Day CoD bundle turns players into joints and it’s already being called the “best” ActivisionCoD’s newest Operator skin bundle across Warzone & MW3, one featuring Cheech and Chong, is already being called the “best” as it turns enemies into joints, letting you literally roll and smoke your opponents. With the release of MW3’s Season 3, it seems that the devs at Sledgehammer are having fun with its cosmetics this time around, especially with the upcoming addition of the marijuana-loving Snoop Dogg and Cheech and Chong. And now that Season 3 is live, we’re are already getting an early look as to what the 420-day skins will be bringing, as players will soon be able to quite literally roll and smoke their opponents. Revealed by CoD leaker Soupsilly on Twitter, the Cheech and Chong skin bundle will include a Tracer Pack with one of the more unique effects to date. When killing an enemy, this visual effect rolls them up as a joint for all to see. Well, it’s technically not a joint, rather the dead body transforms into Cheech and Chong wrapped together in a massive rolling paper to make it look like a joint, before subsequently disappearing in a cloud of smoke. Fitting. But that’s not all for the additions 420 day is bringing a new finishing move, “Secondhand Smoke”, coming with the Cheech and Chong bundle, which hilariously kills an enemy by blowing smoke from a joint into an enemy’s face through a shotgun. Additionally, another Tracer Pack, part of the Slothy bundle, turns enemy’s heads into bongs when killed, shoots out joints, and has weed leaves for particle effects. Naturally, the absolute dankness of the upcoming Cheech and Chong bundle has players interested. “This might be the best thing Call of Duty has made since Akimbo Models,” one player commented on CharlieIntel’s post about the cosmetics. “Putting my opps in a blunt?! Sign me up,” said another player.

  • New 100 Thieves x Nadeshot merch collab release date announced, hints at money theme – Dexerto

New 100 Thieves x Nadeshot merch collab release date announced, hints at money theme CARLOS G./THE1POINT8A new collaboration has been announced between North American esports organization 100 Thieves and their CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. On March 19, Nadeshot tweeted out an image featuring the 100 Thieves logo side by side with his own logo, both over a bright green backdrop. The tweet is captioned with three emojis, and the only concrete piece of information offered is the release date, which will be Thursday, March 28. While the nature of this project is certainly being kept under wraps, many are assuming that it will be clothing merchandise that features both brands. If that turns out to be the case, it would be the first time that Nadeshot crosses over his own brand with the org’s when it comes to actual merch.:eyes::pretentious: pic.twitter.com/a0TuEjw9pg — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) March 19, 2019 This announcement, and the lack of additional details being revealed, has caused a lot of excited confusion on social media, as fans have tried to figure out what exactly they should expect. One popular theory is that the merch will feature some sort of money-related theme, hinted at by the fact that the letter ‘S’ in both logos has been changed to a dollar sign, and also Nadeshot using the ‘mouth money face’ in his caption. Meanwhile, the neon green background also seems to be falling in line with this idea, since neither brand features such a color in their original themes. While there are a lot of unanswered questions about this new collaboration, whatever does end up coming out of it will very likely be sold out minutes after its release. So far, every single merchandise drop that 100 Thieves have done over the past year-and-a-half has gotten sold out very quickly, and a collab such as this might sell out even faster. As more details about this collaboration are likely to be announced in the coming days, we will update this article with new information as it becomes available.

  • New 100 Thieves CoD Pro ‘Octane’ Reveals Why He’s No Longer on OpTic Gaming – Dexerto

New 100 Thieves CoD Pro ‘Octane’ Reveals Why He’s No Longer on OpTic Gaming The stunning transfer of CoD pro player Sam ‘Octane’ Larew from OpTic Gaming to 100 Thieves has become the talk of the town in the competitive CoD community, as was expected. In their discussions about the roster move and its implications for both teams, many have questioned why Octane would leave arguably the greatest organization in CoD esports history for an org whose only experience in the scene was a brief and unsuccessful stint in 2016. Seeing all of the social media chatter, the player has publicly revealed that the reason he left OpTic was because he had no choice and that the decision whether to stay or not was made for him. Getting a lot of tweets and people seem to be confused- I didn’t leave OpTic by choice. However, the player, the org seem to be going their own ways in good standing with each other, as both tweeted out their farewells and wished each other good luck in the future. It appears that OpTic’s poor results in all three major tournaments since Octane’s arrival was enough for the org to decide to drop him, despite the fact that he had only arrived in May. Now that Octane’s future team has already been revealed, all eyes will be on OpTic as in their search for a new fourth player ahead of the Black Ops 4 season.

  • Never die to Warzone fall damage again with one simple trick – Dexerto

Never die to Warzone fall damage again with one simple trick Infinity WardFall damage can put a sudden end to any Warzone run, but there’s a simple trick you can use to avoid an unnecessary downfall. There’s no more embarrassing way to go out than to die to your own mistakes in Warzone. Whether that’s crashing a vehicle or cooking a grenade for too long, we’ve all had our fair share of fumbles. Dying to fall damage is one such mistake that could just ruin your match. If you’re worried about your parachute not opening, or need to make a quick escape, here’s a trick to avoid fall damage completely. How to avoid fall damage in Warzone Rather than scaling damage depending on your height, Infinity Ward’s battle royale simply has a cut-off. Jumping from a certain elevation will outright kill you, or leave you unscathed. Drop from up to 13 meters off the ground and you’ll be just fine. However, anything 14 meters or higher and you’ll be downed upon landing. How can you gauge this height in the heat of the moment? A single ping from Warzone’s in-game system will do the trick. Warzone’s ping system could save your life Opening your parachute as you drop to the ground can make you an easy target. Not only that, but it also puts away your guns, preventing you from shooting back. If you’re looking to get out of trouble in a jiffy, pinging the ground below can help. A quick glimpse at the height of the fall and you’ll know if it’s safe to drop. Given the size of Verdansk, buildings come in all shapes and sizes. At times it can be difficult to know exactly what kind of fall might kill you. Thanks to this simple trick, that moment of hesitation can now be avoided. Whether you have years of Call of Duty experience or you’re just starting out with Modern Warfare, there are plenty of nuances for everyone to master in the battle royale, even long after the title first launched. A simple trick like this could quickly become second nature as you hunt down your next win in Warzone.

  • Nerfed MW3 AR is actually Warzone’s best in Season 3 – Dexerto

Nerfed MW3 AR is actually Warzone’s best in Season 3 Treyarch/ActivisionIf you’re looking for the best assault rifle in Warzone Season 3 then you may want to consider a previously popular gun that received a nerf not that long ago. In a bid to shake up the meta in Warzone, the Call of Duty devs have been pretty consistent with buffs and nerfs to the massive arsenal of weapons. At the start of Season 3, for example, popular guns like the Ram-7, Bas-B, MCW, and SOA Subverter were all nerfed. When these nerfs come about, its pretty easy for fans to toss these guns aside and look at different options. However, sometimes these guns are still pretty strong after nerfs. That, according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, is the case for the BP50 – which was nerfed back in Season 2 Reloaded. As per his findings, the AR matches the TR-76 Geist – which has the best TTK of any rifle inside 25 meters – but is much easier to use. “This thing is versatile, it’s easy to use, it’s got no recoil, it’s fast and agile, it’s checking all the right boxes,” the Warzone expert said, noting it has the “best TTK” of any assault rifle in fights over 45 meters and is just very “consistent” in the ranges before that. “This thing’s versatility just stands out so much to me in this category now. It’s versatile and consistent at the same time, which is so clutch.” Muzzle: Casus Brake – Barrel: Lore-9 Heavy Barrel – Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Magazine: 45-round mag – Stock: Moat-40 Stock – The BP50 had been incredibly popular prior to that aforementioned nerf in Season 2 Reloaded, and while it hasn’t completely fallen away, it’s not as widely used as it once was. It should make a comeback now that it has been highlighted as a top option again, though.

  • Nerfed Modern Warfare 3 LMG can still break meta with one attachment – Dexerto

Nerfed Modern Warfare 3 LMG can still break meta with one attachment ActivisionThe DG-58 LSW was nerfed on May 14 in an MW3 update that saw the LMG’s TTK reverted to its pre-patch state. Even so, it can still dominate in multiplayer as long as you use this specific loadout. In Season 3 Reloaded, the DG-58 LSW was given a huge buff which made it more accurate and very noticeably increased its damage. This unexpected boost saw the once-neglected LMG become one of the best weapons in multiplayer overnight. However, that didn’t long as just two weeks after its initial buff Sledgehammer nerfed the DG-58 LSW. These nerfs include the removal of various damage multipliers, reverting its TTK. Even after these nerfs, the MW3 LMG is still meta but now requires the JAK Nightshade Rifle Kit. With this Aftermarket Part equipped, the DG-58 LSW avoids the damage nerf entirely and has a TTK of 280 ms out to 40 meters. That’s highly competitive and it’s even possible to further improve that by landing two headshots reducing it to an incredible 210 ms. That’s amongst the fastest TTKs in Modern Warfare 3, allowing the DG-58 LSW to outgun almost every other weapon in the game. Here is the DG-58 LSW loadout you’ll now want to be using to make your class competitive again: Conversion Kit: JAK Nightshade Rifle Kit – Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Stock: Recoil Reduction Buttplate – Rear Grip: Varanus Steady Grip – While the original DG-58 LSW is an LMG-AR hybrid this version with the JAK Nightshade Rifle Kit is strictly an AR. As a result, it has a smaller magazine and more recoil but far superior mobility and handling. On larger maps, this loadout won’t be as competitive as the base DG-58 LSW was as it isn’t as accurate at long range. Most MW3 maps are on the smaller side, though, and favor the kind of fast-paced gameplay that this variant excels at.

  • NBA Star Karl-Anthony Towns Absolutely Roasts a Former Teammate’s CoD Skills – Dexerto

NBA Star Karl-Anthony Towns Absolutely Roasts a Former Teammate’s CoD Skills Karl-Anthony Towns is an NBA All-Star and can hold his own in video games as well, but according to him there is one NBA player who should put the sticks down. While streaming the Black Ops 4 Beta, KAT hilariously called out Chicago Bulls player Zach LaVine over his poor gaming skills – even calling Zach’s father live on stream to confirm. Towns was answering a question from Twitch streamer Jordan ‘LEGIQN’ Payton about the worst Call of Duty player he knows and he did not hesitate with the response. Zach LaVine, he is the worst. Oh my God he is so bad. He loves playing video games too, God bless his soul. Unfortunately for LaVine, Towns kept going and piled on. The two NBA rising stars were teammates for one season in Minnesota, so Towns had plenty of first hand experience with his friend’s CoD abilities. Towns: He knows it too. He knows he’s trash. LEGIQN: Zach, if you are watching, I would like to apologize- Towns: -No I don’t want to apologize. There were a lot of hours that I spent with you and I was not enjoying that… I told you I did, but, I didn’t. • NBA star Josh Hart smashes keyboard in epic Modern Warfare rage – Dexerto

NBA star Josh Hart smashes keyboard in epic Modern Warfare rage IG: JHartDuring a May 2 Twitch stream, Josh Hart – shooting guard for the New Orleans Pelicans – hilariously smashed his keyboard while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. We’ve seen a host of celebrities try their hand at video games and live streaming, not always with successful results. Back in January, we saw rap legend Snoop Dogg hilariously rage quit a Madden stream after just 26 minutes. Similar frustrations were evident in Josh Hart’s livestream on May 2, broadcast through the NBA star’s own channel. At the time of writing his channel, JHartShow, sits at upwards of 50,000 followers. The NBA star was playing some Search and Destroy on Hackney Yard, when he was flashed on his way into the lower B building. Shortly after, Hart was deleted by an opponent using akimbo .357 pistols, which have been widely denounced as overpowered in Modern Warfare’s Season 3. This unsurprisingly frustrated Hart, who responded by ripping his keyboard out of his gaming setup. He then smashed it multiple times over his gaming chair and, when they keyboard fell to the floor, rounded off his rage with a few stomps to ensure the keyboard was really dead. After smashing his keyboard, the Pelicans’ player then picked up its remnants and hurled it across the room. All the while, Hart’s in-game teammates (including fellow NBA player Zach LaVine) can be heard laughing at the sound of his setup being taken apart. Hart’s epic rage came just five minutes into the hour-long livestream, in one of the fastest displays of anger we can remember. It wasn’t all bad though, as he racked up a number of successful games – after he pulled out and connected a replacement keyboard.

  • NBA star Anthony Davis slams Warzone loadout drop change: “That’s wack” – Dexerto

NBA star Anthony Davis slams Warzone loadout drop change: “That’s wack” Activision / NBALoadouts can be a huge part of success in Warzone but with the new loadout drop change in the Pacific update, even people like NBA star Anthony Davis are upset and want it changed. In the December 8 Warzone update, loadout drops received a massive update that only made them purchasable after the first circle closes. This means it takes much longer to get fully kitted on Caldera and players need to rely more on ground loot. Many people including Dr Disrespect, JGOD, and others have voiced their opinion on this change and how it’s bad for the game, but now NBA Champion, Anthony Davis is joining the fight as well. NBA Lakers player Anthony Davis wants Warzone loadout drops reverted When Davis isn’t tearing up the NBA court, he finds himself dropping into the battlefield of Warzone. With the Pacific update, things have changed since the last time Davis loaded the game, but that didn’t stop the superstar from noticing a new mechanic that he’s not a fan of. While he may not be able to stay on top of all the latest updates Raven Software releases, the NBA player messaged Swagg to ask why he couldn’t get a loadout on the new map. Swagg told him that it’s still purchasable but not until the first circle closes, to which Davis replied: “That’s wack.” This change makes it so Warzone players need to survive a full circle worth of gas before getting their hands on a loadout. He isn’t the first to voice his disapproval of the loadout drop change as many Warzone fans have been vocal about their frustration with this update. Players feel that it is ruining the pace of the game and is causing others to camp until they are able to purchase one. While it is unknown if Raven will ever revert this, it is clear that even the most casual of gamers are not happy with this loadout drop system.

Natarsha praises Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 for creating long-awaited skill gap with new Omnimovement TreyarchCall of Duty streamer Natarsha sat down with Dexerto and explained why Black Ops 6’s new features are worth getting excited about. For CoD Next this year, several content creators had the chance to stream Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone gameplay. In addition, Treyarch made a few exciting announcements about the future of the series. Natarsha was one of the lucky few who had a chance to attend the event, and she shared her experiences and provided some insight into what fans can expect. Natarsha The developers put a lot of emphasis on making the game look grounded and realistic. What do you make of the design and vibe of the game? “For the design and the vibe of the game, they went all out this year. I feel like they went crazy with the graphics.” Which of the new Black Ops 6 features are you most excited about? “The feature that I’m definitely most excited for is the body shield. I was having so much fun camping behind curtains and body-shielding people. The best part about it is you can hear them screaming in their microphone when you are doing it, and that makes for really good content.” What are your thoughts on the new movement system? “My thoughts on the Omnimovement is it’s going to change the game entirely and create a very large skill gap that I think a lot of people have been looking forward to.” What did you have the opportunity to play at Next? Describe a bit about your experience “I had a chance to look at Zombies. The spiders were pretty terrifying but I’m excited to grind that with my friends and have my first proper Zombies experiences.” If you’re as excited for Black Ops 6 as these guys are, you’ll want to preorder online from Gamestop, then head to your nearest Gamestop store for an exclusive steelbook case to add to your collection.

  • NAMELESS slams UYU over Methodz roster change at CWL Pro League – Dexerto

NAMELESS slams UYU over Methodz roster change at CWL Pro League CWL Analyst Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler has called the decision by UYU to bench Tristan ‘Spoof’ Green in favor of Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni “unacceptable” and “disrespectful”. NAMELESS, a veteran professional player himself, was clearly angered by the move, as Spoof’s hard work to qualify for the Pro League after multiple attempts was reduced to nothing, at the hands of the organization. Spoof had helped the team earn their spot at the Pro League qualifier, but was essentially dropped by the team before league matches began, as Methodz (who was recruited as a substitute) took his place. During an episode of Trading Shots on February 4, NAMELESS spoke on the move in an impassioned rant, calling it “incredibly disrespectful”. UYU faced heavy backlash following the announcement, and NAMELESS suggests they brought it on themselves, by placing a spotlight and further pressure on their players. “Now, what UYU has done, is put all the pressure from the community onto their team, all eyes are going to be on them, and everyone’s going to want to see them fail,” NAMELESS exclaimed, continuing “[Spoof] was being a team player and gets released – it’s unacceptable.” .@NAMELESS was NOT a fan of UYU’s roster change heading into the #CWLPS4 Pro League. Watch this week’s episode of Trading Shots presented by @ASTROGaming: https://t.co/iDFopBsIwe pic.twitter.com/ityOuCj3rj — Call of Duty World League (@CODWorldLeague) February 5, 2019 NAMELESS points out that even despite not using a damage heavy specialist in Crash, Spoof still had a better kill/death ratio than two of his teammates at the qualifier, making the move even more peculiar. UYU’s first match of the Pro League will not ease them in either, as they will have to face off against the Division favorites in OpTic Gaming, winners of CWL Las Vegas. Although OpTic did lose their opening match vs Midnight, so there’s a chance that UYU can pull something similar. • Nameless reveals who OpTic Gaming should pick up to solve CDL issues – Dexerto

Nameless reveals who OpTic Gaming should pick up to solve CDL issues Call of Duty LeagueCall of Duty League caster and analyst Anthony ‘Nameless’ Wheeler has revealed who he believes OpTic Gaming Los Angeles need to acquire to turn their season around before it’s too late. OpTic are off to a severely disappointing start, especially considering the fact that this roster is made up of players used to being at the top But, they’ve failed to really make an impact on the COD League so far, with only two series wins out of the nine they’ve played. Now, Nameless says he believes Toronto Ultra’s Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza is the perfect solution to all of OGLA’s problems. On the Call of Duty League’s official ‘Contesting the Point’ show, Nameless and fellow contestant Philip ‘Momo’ Whitfield, were asked what they would do to turn around OGLA’s poor fortunes, and Nameless was the first to respond. He said: “There’s no other answer that’s better than this: they go to Toronto and say ‘you have a player on the bench, we have some cash. We want Loony.’ If you put Loony on this team, with these players, they will dominate.” He went on to reference the last time we saw Loony, Austin ‘Slasher’ Liddicoat and Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly playing together, during the World War II season, saying that they were “incredible” on that Rise Gaming roster together. (Timestamp 24:53 for mobile viewers) Nameless clearly thinks a lot of Loony, adding that “if he goes to OpTic he fixes it, point blank period… That team will be on another level with him.” Toronto Ultra are another team that haven’t been having the best season, with regular alterations to the starting line-up to find what their best choices are going forward, but the option to get a player out so they can either cut their wage bill or find a replacement would no doubt be an interesting prospect. Watch: The Upset That Created One of CoD’s Greatest Dynasties Whether or not something like this actually happens remains to be seen; it’s not as easy as simply going over there and asking Loony to switch over, and with so many moving parts at this point in the season, who knows what will happen? While Loony is one option, there a number of players currently sat outside of their team’s starting rosters that would love to get back on the main stage – so OpTic aren’t completely lost for choice.

  • NAMELESS Reveals What Pushed Him to Retire From Professional Call of Duty – Dexerto

NAMELESS Reveals What Pushed Him to Retire From Professional Call of Duty Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler has cemented himself in the competitive Call of Duty community with a storied professional career across multiple CoD installations. Following a disappointing start to the Call of Duty: WWII CWL Season alongside Evil Geniuses which eventually saw him part ways with the squad after Stage One of the Pro League, the veteran competitor chose to take a step back from any professional competition. Instead of leaving the competitive CoD community entirely, NAMELESS took a role with MLG as an on-air talent for analysis and commentary – a role which he quickly adhered to. However, in a feature released on the official Call of Duty Esports website, NAMELESS revealed that he struggled with ‘constant doubts’ over the past two years regarding his place as a professional player, but his decision to retire eventually dismissed a substantial amount of ‘stress.’ “The last two years I played I had constant doubts. I’d think, “Man, I can’t get into that top group of players to make a team to win, and I want to win. What am I doing?” When I retired, all that pressure to become a Champion was gone. I was so stressed for the past two years, but now I have the chance to learn something new, to go and improve and not deal with all that weight.” Even though he has had some difficulty ‘coping with his new place in the community,’ the chance to be on the analyst desk is an opportunity that NAMELESS knows he can improve on in the future. “I feel really comfortable being on the talent roster. It’s something that I think I’m good at and I can improve upon. People usually don’t retire when they should. They win a championship, and then they get eighth place at an event the next year, and then they get 22nd, and they keep playing. People overstay their welcome. I don’t think I overstayed my welcome, but I think that after three years without a championship, there’s believing in yourself, and there’s beating a dead horse.” The full feature titled “NAMELESS: I Don’t Get to Play” can be found on the Call of Duty Esports website. • Nameless Reveals the Story of His Tough Childhood for the First Time and How Call of Duty Changed his Life – Dexerto

Nameless Reveals the Story of His Tough Childhood for the First Time and How Call of Duty Changed his Life Former professional Call of Duty player turned caster and analyst, Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler has, for the first time ever, revealed the story of his upbringing and how pro gaming changed his life. NAMELESS has been a stalwart of the competitive Call of Duty community since the early days, competing for over eight years at the very top of the pro scene. He went on to win six championships and over $500,000 in prize money with his teams, until finally stepping away from the main stage and onto the casters desk, midway through the 2018 CWL Season. But, despite being one of best known veterans in the scene, not much was known about NAMELESS’ childhood and how he came to be a legendary Call of Duty competitor. In the most recent episode of ‘Behind the Controller‘ by Scuf Gaming and MLG, NAMELESS reveals more about his personal life than he ever has before, retelling a remarkable story of overcoming struggle to get where he is today. “Growing up where I did, there was only a few options for me. It was either gangbanging, drugs, video games or being a mess up. Luckily, from a one in a million chance, I found the right path. I spent a lot of my childhood bouncing around different houses. It was tough because I had no father figure, he left right when I was born so I never met him, never knew him. And my Mom, was unfortunately addicted to drugs, so she was always in and out of jail.” For NAMELESS, it was his Grandmother who stepped up and took responsibility for him when he was set to be adopted, and is also to thank for his passion for video games. “We were meeting with the adoption lady, my Grandma got to the place and took us and said ‘you’re not leaving this family, you’re not getting adopted, I’m not letting this happen.’ We moved to a really bad area, right outside of Chicago, and I was associating with people I shouldn’t be. My Grandma didn’t know what to do about it, so she just bought me a tonne of video games. With whatever money she could put together, she would buy me games.” From there, NAMELESS became an avid gamer, and being indoors gaming kept him out of trouble – and of course, later became his career. He explains that his biggest win, 2nd place at the 2014 World Championship netting $200,000, came at the perfect time as he and his grandparents were struggling. “I was $4,000 in debt, my Grandma got sick, my Grandpa got unemployed. If we didn’t make money at champs, I was pretty much screwed. If I didn’t get top two at that tournament, who knows what would have happened, I can tell you I would not be sitting here, so thank God.” Finally revealing all these personal details of his struggle, NAMELESS says he doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him, rather to use his journey as inspiration. “I’m at a point now where I feel like I can tell this story, and I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me. It’s something that I didn’t want people to know for 22 years of my life. It didn’t decide what was going to happen for me – I decided what was going to happen for me. […] And I’m thankful, that Call of Duty lead me to this path.” You can watch the full video from Scuf Gaming and MLG on NAMELESS’ remarkable journey below.

  • NAMELESS Responds to Backlash After Switching CoD Cast VoD to Subscriber Only – Dexerto

NAMELESS Responds to Backlash After Switching CoD Cast VoD to Subscriber Only Retired Call of Duty pro Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler has responded to criticism about his decision to make future Twitch VoDs of the CoD Cast only available to subscribers. Formerly of Evil Geniuses, NAMELESS made the decision to retire from competing after he was dropped from the team following a sub-par first season in the CWL Pro League. Since becoming teamless, the veteran player has been running a regular podcast, called the CoD Cast, which focuses on the competitive Call of Duty scene and attempts to increase the amount of content available for fans. The show airs live on is Twitch channel and is usually uploaded to YouTube by the next morning. The VoD was also instantly available on Twitch until NAMELESS made the decision on May 9th to make that a feature that is only available to subscribers. As someone who has been able to do virtually no wrong in the eyes of the community since starting the CoD Cast, this decision was the first time that NAMELESS has received backlash as numerous fans complained about the decision and said it was a step in the wrong direction. However, NAMELESS has some very good reasons for making the decision as he laid out in a response to a Reddit thread on the subject: A number of fans have already responded to NAMELESS’ explanation to say that they now understand his decision and will support it going forward. The only criticism that persists is that the CoD Cast tends to air so late that fans in Europe have no chance of catching it live and will then have to wait for 12 hours in order to watch it. NAMELESS has aleady addressed this issue, though, saying that he will be moving the start time of the show forward by three hours for all future episodes. Yes. I am going to bump it up 3 hours each time (after this episode) for the UK lads. — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) May 10, 2018

  • NAMELESS Provides a Heartfelt Update on His Status Within the Competitive Call of Duty Scene – Dexerto

NAMELESS Provides a Heartfelt Update on His Status Within the Competitive Call of Duty Scene Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler provided a heartfelt update on his status in the competitive Call of Duty career for the remainder of the 2018 season. Across the competitive Call of Duty scene, few can say that they have been playing for as long as NAMELESS has, with multiple years of competing under his belt. The longtime veteran has seen it all, including a collection of different organizations, teammates, and actual Call of Duty titles over the course of his storied career. After coming into the CoD: WWII season as a member of Evil Geniuses, NAMELESS eventually parted ways with the organization following a performance at Stage One of the CWL Pro League which saw the squad be forced to play in the Relegation tournament. He was unable to find another roster in time for CWL Seattle, allowing him to become a member of the commentary and analysis team for the duration of the tournament, along with starting his own podcast with fellow CoD pros titled the ‘CoD Cast.’ After much thought, NAMELESS took to Twitter to announce that he will no longer be competing for the remainder of WWII, and is still unsure if he will compete during the upcoming Black Ops 4 season. Announcement The last 12 years of my life have been given to call of duty competitive. I have been playing Call of Duty since 2006. I have been going to events since 2010. I’m 24 so the last half of my life has been dedicated primarily to cod. This last month I’ve had a lot of time to reflect and think about my future and place in esports. I love this community. I won’t be going anywhere however I am not going to be competing for the remainder of this game. I do realize that when most people do this, it is the end of their professional career. So I definitely have that in mind and I am not sure if I will be competing in Black Ops 4 either. It is just a smarter move for the position I am in. When you’re on a pro team, you get salary. When you get released you no longer get that salary or anything going forward. Which means if I were to make a top “non-league” team, our salary on an organization would be very low by previous standards and the quality of players available is very average. Which means performance would be reliant on a miracle and practice is minimal with all the teams at pro-league. This sucks because I feel like I am capable to compete at the top level and have shown that this year. However in my position, it would be extremely difficult to rise back to the top. I have thought this through, talked about it with my friends and come to this decision. Honestly, this was the hardest decision of my entire life. I just want to say thank you all very much for the support you’ve given me in this community. I will obviously will still be around, I just may not have a controller in my hand. I have something planned and I will have more information on that soon! Until then, my full time career will be content creation so check out my streams if you haven’t! Love, NAMELESS

  • Nameless explains LA Thieves’ big mistake with Huke roster change – Dexerto

Nameless explains LA Thieves’ big mistake with Huke roster change LA Thieves The LA Thieves’ CDL 2021 campaign hasn’t seen a lot of success so far. While they’ve done their part in acquiring major talents like Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland, their overall roster management hasn’t helped LA’s situation in the league. Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler sees Huke as one of those franchise players that any team can build around. While this remains true even after the 21-year-old’s stint on Empire, NAMELESS thinks LAT could have been more diligent about adding him to the team. “The management side at Thieves was pretty sloppy, during this time,” NAMELESS explained. The decision to pick up Huke was great, but plugging him in too quickly wasn’t ideal. There’s going to be a learning curve after inserting players into an active rotation, regardless of who they are. When LA brought on Huke in early May, they were already one of the league’s top teams — albeit not considered a true contender. But their results actually dipped in the aftermath of bringing on the 2020 World Champion, and it’s not hard to figure out why. “Your team was in its honeymoon, you’re trending upwards, and you gotta see it through with the roster that you had,” NAMELESS said of bringing Huke into the team so soon. LAT has had a rotating four-man squad that was built around Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, and Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Williams, along with a mix of up-and-coming talents like Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan and Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez. Despite efforts to improve, their best overall finish came in CDL’s Stage 1 at 3rd-4th. LA has never placed higher than 5th-6th place in a Major this year. But just before LA signed Huke, it wasn’t all bad. They had just routed the New York Subliners 3-0 in the Stage 2 Major before being eliminated by the eventual champions, Toronto Ultra. Discover more: Most Heated Trash Talk Moments in Call of Duty History – There was something brewing in that formula, and not really an ideal time to completely change the scheme with a superstar talent in Huke. While the former Empire gem is considered a huge upgrade for LA Thieves, it’s going to be a process before the move pays real dividends. LA Thieves look like they’re going back to a tried-and-true trio of Kenny, Slasher, Drazah, while bringing in John for his CDL debut in Stage 5. While Huke remains a top-tier CDL talent, NAMELESS suggests LA will have to scrim and strategize more thoroughly before bringing him back into the fold.

  • NAMELESS disappoints StuDyy in hilarious Black Ops 4 blooper – Dexerto

NAMELESS disappoints StuDyy in hilarious Black Ops 4 blooper A squad of Call of Duty pros suffered an unexpected elimination due to a hilarious blooper from Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler. NAMELESS, StuDyy, John and SpaceLy were cruising in a Blackout match, taking care of the enemy squad they bumped into near Firing Range. After downing a player, StuDyy was dropped by another but NAMELESS was there for an easy revive. When StuDyy was dropped a second time however, things did not go nearly as smooth. Despite John and SpaceLy having the situation totally under control, NAMELESS decided to push with them instead of staying behind – much to the dismay of the increasingly animated StuDyy. (NSFW language) Some people are truly built differently pic.twitter.com/6HRguuK5mG — Jeremy Astacio (@JeremyStuD) December 1, 2018 StuDyy immediately asked for help, but NAMELESS passed to chase the enemies and replied with “I’m right on them!” The kill feed disagreed, showing John picking up all the eliminations. When NAMELESS finally realized he needed to pick up his downed teammate, calamity ensued as he got lost, unable to find a way back. StuDyy was forced to helplessly watch his teammate’s gamertag run around on the other side of the wall. Things would get even worse for the squad later, but this time it was John with the blooper. • NAMELESS appears to throw shade at FaZe Clan over new signing – Dexerto

NAMELESS appears to throw shade at FaZe Clan over new signing Former Call of Duty pro Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler may have taken another shot at FaZe Clan’s new signing Cellium. NAMELESS had a storied career as a Call of Duty player, but switched over to the analysts desk mid-way through the WW2 competitive season. The retired pro has been a huge success as an analyst for the Call of Duty World League, bringing his valuable playing experience and insight to matches. However, like almost every single retired player of basketball, baseball, football, soccer, tennis, or any other sport or esport, NAMELESS decided to point out the easier life of young players today. FaZe Clan officially confirmed the signing of Cellium on December 22 and NAMELESS immediately tweeted an image with the word “blessed,” seemingly a comment on how fortunate Cellium is to go from an online am to FaZe immediately after turning 18. Cellium was known as one of the top Call of Duty players under the age of 18, but traditionally new players have to prove themselves to huge organizations through LAN performances at major events. The success of Dashy, Temp, TJHaly, Huke and others is leading to a change, with teams starting to realize young talent may be ready for the main stage earlier then anticipated. This was not the first time NAMELESS pointed out the differences between young players today compared to when he was new on the scene. “Back in the day, you had to prove yourself before getting on a Tier 1 org and playing with elite players,” NAMELESS said in a Tweet. “Nowadays, you just have to fry online and be available. Crazy how times change.” Although he did not mention any names, the tweet was sent around the time rumors first surfaced of FaZe dropping Methodz for Cellium. Back in the day you had to prove yourself before getting on a tier 1 org and playing with elite players. Nowadays you just have to fry online and be available. Crazy how times change…… — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) December 16, 2018 FaZe’s first event with the new roster will be the massively important CWL Pro League Play-in, which determines the CWL Pro teams for the entire Black Ops 4 season. NAMELESS will most likely be on the desk with a Cellium take you will not want to miss. The CWL Pro League Play-in event begins on January 16.

  • NAMELESS Announces the Next Episode of the CoDCast Will Feature a European Theme – Dexerto

NAMELESS Announces the Next Episode of the CoDCast Will Feature a European Theme Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler has revealed that the next episode of the CoDCast will feature a European theme and that he is hoping to announce at least one more “elite guest”. The CoDCast has gone from strength to strength since NAMELESS first decided to start his competitive Call of Duty focused show after being released from Evil Geniuses. Now working as an analyst for the CWL Pro League, NAMELESS has been taking the opportunity to get all of his guests together in a room, and film the podcasts in more of a typical “talk show” setting. One of the most popular shows so far was Episode 8, which featured European stars Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly, Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall, Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Sheppard, and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris. Now NAMELESS has revealed that Episode 11 will also feature a European theme as Skrapz and Zer0 return along with Rhys ‘Rated’ Price and “hopefully one more elite guest”. Having Skrapz, Zer0, and Rated on the show will be particularly interesting after Red Reserve’s impressive second place finish at the CWL Anaheim Open. The next codcast will feature @Rated_COD @TreiZer0 @skrapzg and hopefully one more elite guest! :fire: IM HYPED. — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) June 19, 2018 Rise Nation defeated Red Reserve in the Grand Final but the European team’s performance proved that they will be serious contenders for the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs and the World Championship. And, of course, any show that includes names like Rated and Skrapz is almost guaranteed to produce some hilarious sound bites and moments of trash talk. Stay tuned for more information about the date and time of CoDCast Episode 11.

  • NAMELESS and MadCat Recall Hilarious Story from Simpler Times When Gamebattles Credits Could Buy You a Hot Meal – Dexerto

NAMELESS and MadCat Recall Hilarious Story from Simpler Times When Gamebattles Credits Could Buy You a Hot Meal Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly and Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler recalled a hilarious story from simpler, and skinter, times during the most recent episode of the CoDCast. Any time you put the likes of MadCat, NAMELESS, Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Sheppard, Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall, and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris in a room and put the cameras on, you can expect hilarity to ensue. That’s exactly what happened during episode eight of NAMELESS’ hit show, the CoDCast, which aired live on Twitch on May 21st and was uploaded to YouTube 24 hours later. As always, the CoDCast covered a number of subjects ranging from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal and the announcement of the Blackout Battle Royale mode to recent results in the CWL Pro League and even the news about Fortnite’s staggering prize pool for the 2018-19 season. However, the highlight of the show for many came when veteran players MadCat, Joshh, and NAMELESS began reminiscing about the old days of competitive CoD when they lived on shoestring budgets, had organizations regularly back out on funding them, and would share hotel rooms at events with upwards of 10 people. MadCat became particularly animated during this part of the conversation and joked about how broke he was before bigger organizations and more money came into the scene. NAMELESS even remembered one time when the hungry Brit had bought a steak from him for 120 Gamebattles Credits! “I had a steak right? And I was cooking it and there was 10 of us in the house bro, all of his team and all of my team. I’m cooking a steak bro, cheffing that shit up. It smells fire. Dylan walks in the kitchen, taps me on the shoulder, and he’s like ‘what are you making man?’I was like ‘a steak’, he’s like ‘can i buy that off you?’ […] I said ‘yeah uhhh I don’t know what to charge you.’ […] Listen, listen, listen, this man sent me 120 GB credits!” The story sends the other members of the episode into hysterics and MadCat goes into detail, outlining the “hustle” he had to go on to fund himself while he was still at college. The entire episode is full of laughs and NAMELESS himself took to Twitter after it concluded to say that he believed it was the best CoDCast yet. You can watch the full episode below. The section discussing the steak begins at around the 01:08:00 mark.

  • NAMELESS and Clayster point out how easily unproved CoD players are getting on big name teams – Dexerto

NAMELESS and Clayster point out how easily unproved CoD players are getting on big name teams The competitive landscape of Call of Duty esports has certainly changed over the years, and few can see that better than longtime competitors James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler. As two of the earliest faces of competitive CoD, NAMELESS and Clayster hold a sentimental value for how much hard work, dedication, and time it took them to establish themselves as legitimate stars in the esport. Contrasting their paths to success with the path that many young players take now, both have come to the stark realization that times have certainly changed. “Back in the day, you had to prove yourself before getting on a Tier 1 org and playing with elite players,” NAMELESS tweeted. “Nowadays, you just have to fry online and be available. Crazy how times change.” “Dude right? I had to team with 15-16 year olds even AFTER I had established myself,” Clayster responded. “Guess it’s just the state of the scene right now, but I wish I could have come in on a T1 org making racks off the rip. I had to win seven tournaments to get paid $500 a month.” Lmfao dude right? I had to team with 15-16 year olds even AFTER I had established myself. Guess it’s just the state of the scene right now, but I wish I coulda came in on a T1 org making RACKS off the rip. I had to win 7 tournaments to get paid $500/mo LOL — eU Clayster (@Clayster) December 16, 2018 NAMELESS’ original tweet was inspired by strong speculation that FaZe Clan will be making a move to replace Methodz with the young, up-and-coming talent Cellium, who is currently on eUnited’s Cadet team. Cellium, who is yet to turn 18 years of age and thus has never played at a CWL event, would be the best example of what NAMELESS and Clayster are talking about when they say that players really don’t need to prove themselves as much anymore to make it big. Read More: SpaceLy explains why his CoD team has left Str8 Ripping after strong performance at CWL Vegas – There is no hiding the fact that so many of the top level teams in Call of Duty esports feature at least one or more young players who had little championship level experience before making the move. Prime examples of this are the top two teams from the recent $250,000 CWL Vegas event, OpTic Gaming and eUnited, who have Dashy and aBeZy on their rosters respectively. Prior to moving to OpTic, Dashy’s only real pro experience was with compLexity Gaming last season, and his best finish was 9th-12th at the CWL Dallas Open with Enigma6 Group. ABeZy had even less experience before moving to eUnited, as he was not on any Pro League rosters during his rookie WWII season, although he also finished 9th-12th at multiple events. However, that obviously doesn’t mean much when translating to success, as both Dashy and aBeZy played instrumental roles in helping their respective teams reach the Grand Final, with Dashy winning MVP. So far this season, Dashy’s performances have been far beyond expectations, as his strong play has been a major reason why OpTic are yet to lose a series in any of the online or LAN matches they’ve played in Black Ops 4.

  • Nadia “shadowbanned” from Modern Warfare 2 voice chat after popping off on toxic players – Dexerto

Nadia “shadowbanned” from Modern Warfare 2 voice chat after popping off on toxic players Twitch: NadiaCall of Duty star Nadia has apparently found herself banned from voice chat in Modern Warfare 2 after popping off on toxic players in games of Search and Destroy. With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, some fans have been trying to throw things back to the original 2009 game by using game chat to trash-talk their opponents and even teammates. To stop things from getting completely out of hand, however, Activision has introduced a new set of punishments for toxic players. Now, players can receive a ban from in-game voice chat if they’re deemed to be too aggressive and toxic. In the case of Nadia, the popular Call of Duty streamer has had to deal with plenty of toxic players over the last few months, and that’s intensified with the launch of MW2. Though, she’s also fallen victim to the new punishments. Nadia hit with MW2 voice chat ban The streamer, who can usually be found dropping into Warzone, has been dominating the Search and Destroy scene upon the release of MW2 and had her fair share of run-ins with toxic players. One such confrontation went viral on Twitter, as Nadia and an opponent yelled at each other in the post-game scene after he called her a “b*tch” as the game came to an end. “I joined late and I still have more kills than you, dumb a*s b*tch!” Nadia screamed at her opponent. She didn’t stop that either, repeatedly reminding her opponent about who had just dominated, calling him “garbage” as well. She’s continued to go at other players in her streams since, but hit a wall late in her November 7 stream. Nadia tried to communicate with her teammates in-game, but couldn’t seem to do so. While she tried to adjust her settings, some fans informed her that she may have been struck with a voice chat ban. Nadia dropped into another lobby to test that, and it seemed to be the case. “No way! That’s so a*s,” the streamer said as some tried to figure out how long she wouldn’t be able to chat. “Yo I did. That’s so a*s. No way.” Activision’s blog on the new voice chat bans doesn’t state specifically if players will receive a permanent suspension, but note that they can be muted globally. So, we’ll have to wait and see if Nadia is able to chat with her opponents again, or if its lost for good.

  • Nadia responds to backlash over Modern Warfare 3 criticism – Dexerto

Nadia responds to backlash over Modern Warfare 3 criticism Twitter: TheNadiaAmineTwitch streamer and former accused Warzone hacker Nadia has responded to mass backlash after criticizing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, claiming that “there is no winning” for her when it comes to the Call of Duty community. Nadia was once one of the most talked about Warzone streamers in the world, peaking during the Verdansk days as unproven hacking accusations swirled constantly around her — and she never shied away from playing into the accusations. Since the switch to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, Nadia went the way of many other Warzone creators and sought pastures new outside of COD, unable to really enjoy the game like she used to. She still streams fairly regularly, usually in the Just Chatting category, and has diversified her content to also be on Fanhouse, something she hit back at critics for earlier in 2023. Now, though, the COD community is talking about her again after her comments about Modern Warfare 3, and she’s had her say. Nadia ‘can’t win’ in Modern Warfare 3 debate While many players have really enjoyed the latest Call of Duty title so far, not everybody is a huge fan. Nadia is one of those who hasn’t immediately fell in love with the game, saying that the game is “overrated as hell” with “trash movement,” also lamenting the fact that “nothing new was added.” She received a bunch of backlash after the tweet went viral, and responded after she had seen enough. She said: “I don’t play COD, I’m a wh*re. I play COD, I cheat. There is no winning ever, so I will stay doing what the f*ck I want. Thank you.” Nadia hasn’t streamed the game much since launch day, while others are grinding to get all their weapons leveled up and the mastery camos unlocked, evidently completely unimpressed with what the game has to offer. Whether she changes her mind with the big Warzone update in Season 1, though, remains to be seen.

Nadia has become one of the most popular names in Warzone, due to a litany of hacking accusations made against her, and has frequently joked about using hacks in viral clips, despite claiming that she isn’t actually cheating. This has riled up accusers even more, who even spread the rumor that Nadia was removed from the COD Next event because she was found cheating, though that was not accurate at all and was simply a joke made by another streamer at the event. Nonetheless, with Censor’s pursuit to hold his number 1 spot in the Vanguard ranked leaderboards, he’s started the process of exposing every hacker in Call of Duty, and set Nadia in his sights in a tweet posted on September 27. While Doug went on to expose a couple of Vanguard ranked hackers, he claims the software being used by his friend, who created it to hunt hackers, isn’t available to access Warzone cheaters yet. That hasn’t stopped him, however, and on September 27 he told his stream that Nadia had sent him a Direct Message to confirm she doesn’t cheat. “I said ‘Look, I don’t care what you say to me’,” claimed Censor. “‘If you’re not cheating, I will know. If you’re cheating, I will know. I’m inevitable.’” She then sent him another DM after seeing the above clip, calling him “weird” for what he said and claiming that’s not how things happened. He posted a screenshot of these DMs, saying that they “p**sed him off” and that he “has no agenda” in the ordeal. The DMs read: “Why are you being weird that’s not what happened? I DM’ed you because someone sent me a message saying you were going to frame me? I hope whatever clicks you get [tonight] or whenever the expose party is makes you as relevant as you pray to be.” Nadia responded with screenshots of her original message, to which Censor was very blunt back. “I don’t care about you,” his tweet read. “I don’t have an agenda to cancel you. I surely don’t need clout or money either. My video is unbiased, but if you have nothing to hide then you wouldn’t message me the way you do.” While the conversation didn’t go any further than that, Censor has reiterated that he’ll have a video coming out on Friday, September 30, implying a focus on Nadia. Whether he’s actually managed to find evidence that Nadia cheats, or has cheated, in Warzone, remains to be seen, but she remains adamant that she doesn’t, while Censor himself insists that he doesn’t actually care.

  • Nadia rejects Censor’s ‘proposal’ after hacking claims – Dexerto

Nadia rejects Censor’s ‘proposal’ after hacking claims NADIAKAMINE | Instagram/Censor | YouTubeAt the end of a video where Censor discussed hacking accusations toward Nadia, he ended it with a proposal. One that Nadia promptly rejected. Nadia is one of the biggest streamers in Warzone. That fame has come with many accusations that she’s cheating at the game – accusations that she’s responded to and gone out of her way to disprove. Censor threatened to expose her for cheating at Warzone, and said he’d be releasing a video focusing on Nadia. That video has come and gone. However, the drama continues, even after Censor’s video talking about whether or not Nadia’s cheating was released. He doesn’t draw a conclusion on the matter, but the video does conclude in an unexpected way. Censor ‘proposed’ to Nadia at the end, which she very quickly shot down. Censor got shot down by Nadia After talking about the Nadia hacking accusations and not saying anything either way as to whether or not she’s actually cheating at Call of Duty, Censor ended the video with a proposal. We’re not talking a normal proposal here, either. He had a ring ready to go. Going out shirtless with a blazer was certainly a look, but it didn’t win Nadia over. While this is clearly a joke, Nadia wasn’t messing around when denying his proposal. In a subtweet that shortly followed the release of Censor’s video, she had this to say: Censor’s proposal didn’t go over too well with Nadia. At the end of all this, we don’t know any more about whether or not Nadia’s actually been cheating at Warzone. The accusations began following her appearance at a COD LAN event. This LAN setup forced her to play away from home, meaning that she’d be away from whatever she could have at home that may have been used to make her artificially better at the game. Nadia responded by showing her setup at home and explaining what went wrong at the LAN event that made her play poorly.

  • Nadia pops off on toxic Warzone teammate after being told to “abort herself” – Dexerto

Nadia pops off on toxic Warzone teammate after being told to “abort herself” YouTube: NadiaWarzone streamer Nadia absolutely laid into one of her random teammates on Rebirth Island when the mystery girl said she should “abort herself.” Nadia has received more than her fair share of hate online in recent months, with a litany of hacking accusations levied against her by notable names in the Warzone scene. Most recently, many believed that former Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor’ Martin was ready to expose Nadia’s cheating, after someone developed a software to find CoD: Vanguard ranked hackers by searching their names in a database of a popular cheat provider. What ensued was actually a proposal from Censor, ring and all, and many of Nadia’s critics were left disappointed once again that no evidence had been provided. Usually, Nadia doesn’t have the opportunity to respond to her harshest critics, so when one of them piped up in-game, she didn’t hold back. When the random teammate told her to “abort herself” mid-game, Nadia retorted with an almost never-ending torrent of roasts, leaving no doubt that she had got the better of the abusive teammate. “Yo, who the f**k you talking to with your one kill, little b*tch-ass motherf**ker?” she said. “Shut the f**k up. Shut your dumb ass up b*tch. 360 damage? Shut your dumb ass up, b*tch.” Nadia went on, saying that the player “sucks” and is “f**king ass,” not letting them get a single response in, even calling her a “dogwater smelling ass b*tch.” She went on to say that “BadBoy Beaman ain’t going to f**k you,” implying the other girl was one of those who believe that she’s hacking. It goes without saying that Nadia had a lot to get off her chest, and you definitely shouldn’t get on the wrong side of her.

  • Nadia mocks Warzone cheating accusations with Swagg after Censor’s ‘expose’ video – Dexerto

Nadia mocks Warzone cheating accusations with Swagg after Censor’s ‘expose’ video Twitch: NadiaWarzone streamer Nadia Amine poked fun at the cheating accusations thrown her way as she streamed from FaZe Swagg’s set-up in the Nuke Squad house. Over the last few years, plenty of Warzone streamers and content creators have been hit with cheating accusations in one form or another – be it using VPNs for easier lobbies, wall hacks, and even god mode. Twitch star Nadia has had it worse than most, though, as things have ramped up to bizarre levels over the last few months with some viewers unwavering in their belief that she has some illegal help that’s allowing her to dominate. Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor’ Martin threatened to ‘expose’ her but he just ended up proposing to Nadia on-stream – which she fired back at instantly. Now though, she’s poked further fun at the claims. Nadia hits back at Warzone cheating claims in comedic stream The Twitch streamer has been away from her usual set-up recently as she’s been in Los Angeles. During her October 1 stream, she linked up with FaZe Swagg and the Nuke Squad, playing some Warzone from Swagg’s set-up. Before going live, the streaming star dropped a TikTok – that has since been deleted – that set the tone for how she was going to poke fun at things. “This is a message to all my haters, I am currently at the Nuke Squad house playing off FaZe Swagg’s set-up and I’m still dominating,” Nadia said, before ramping the comedy up a notch. “You already know, he’s got the Cronus and VPN set up just for me!” As she got going on-stream, Swagg, of course, made an appearance and joked about there being “red boxes” on-screen. The pair weren’t finished there, though. Nadia also joked about using a VPN to get easier lobbies – a long-standing accusation against many streamers. “I want to get, you know, 40 kills. How else am I supposed to get 40 kills? That’s how you do it,” she said, laughing throughout. As it stands, the claims against Nadia haven’t been proven by anyone and, at this point, it looks rather unlikely that they’re even close to being true.

  • Nadia denies being banned on Warzone after getting locked out of Activision account – Dexerto

Nadia denies being banned on Warzone after getting locked out of Activision account Instagram: nadiakamineWarzone streamer Nadia Amine is locked out of her Activision account. First, she assured fans it has nothing to do with cheating, but the lock-out allegedly escalated into a shadow-ban. Cheating allegations have clouded Nadia’s rise to fame as a Warzone streamer. Doug ‘Censor’ Martin leaked messages between them and threatened to expose her if she was cheating. Censor’s video ended up being a proposal to Nadia rather than evidence of her cheating. Censor received harsh criticism for his handling of the Nadia allegations, which didn’t help answer questions. The allegations reached a boiling point when Nadia was accused of cheating at Call of Duty Next, but she shared full-length clips that discredited all claims. Just as we thought things might be in the clear, Nadia revealed she was locked out of her Activision account and then shadow-banned soon after. Nadia reveals being locked out of Activision account During a Twitch Livestream on October 4, Nadia shared that she is locked out of her main Activision account. She said at the 6:50 mark of the stream, “I’m not banned. I think I have signed in to too many accounts, and for some reason, the verification process is not letting me sign in. I should get my account back tomorrow.” Nadia reached out to Activision, and they allegedly responded, “this has been escalated to our support. I’m not sure about the timeframe, but usually, they are pretty quick, and I tagged an urgent tag on it.” Nadia has been streaming from different content creators’ setups to help clear her name. On October 1, she streamed from the Nuke Squad House, and on October 4, she streamed from the Full Squad Gaming house. Full Squad Gaming tweeted, “we were planning to announce a gameplay test on a clean PC setup today with Nadia. However, we ran into a roadblock when setting up last night – Nadia’s Activision account was locked out.” Nadia allegedly shadow-banned from Warzone Jake Lucky shared a clip from Nadia’s October 4 stream, and she revealed she is shadow-banned from Warzone. “It says it is not eligible for appeal,” Nadia said. “Games under review for Warzone and Modern Warfare. Chat, I’m shadow-banned” Shadow-banning is blocking a user from a social media site or online forum without their knowledge. Nadia is still able to stream, and play from other Activision accounts, but she is unable to log in to her own. She previously stated that Activision responded and was looking into the issue. We will provide an update if Nadia gets access back to her account.

  • Nadia claims she’s blacklisted from CoD tournaments over “bikini pics” – Dexerto

Nadia claims she’s blacklisted from CoD tournaments over “bikini pics” X/Nadia/ActivisionPopular Kick and Twitch streamer Nadia claims she’s been blacklisted from competing in Call of Duty tournaments because of her spicy photos. Nadia has been one of the more controversial CoD and Warzone streamers, having faced countless cheating accusations before deciding to branch out with other types of content. In recent months, the streamer has joined OnlyFans-style websites to post photos for subscribers, but the change in content has caused some drama. In September, she said she wasn’t invited to MW3’s COD Next due to her bikini pictures and now she claims she’s barred from all events. Nadia blasts CoD after bikini photos lead to blacklisting In a post on X, the streamer revealed that she had been “completely blacklisted” from Call of Duty tournaments. “All for posting bikini pictures, never posted nudity one in my life,” she added. “But again, the guys in the cod community can post their bare ass on social media.” In a follow-up reply to esports personality Jake Lucky, Nadia uploaded a screenshot from an email where Activision had sent her CoD points back in December, even after she called out Swagg, Tfue, and Aydan for their own risque photos on X. “Activision invited me out after those posts,” she explained. As for whether or not Nadia will just host her own tournament to circumvent the ban, she already ruled out that possibility, noting how Activision would have to give her their approval. In another post, Nadia insinuated that her blacklisting also came down to sexism and her infamous hacking allegations. “It’s sad to see instead of boys accepting a woman is better at them in a video game, they have to perpetuate the idea they cheated in order to sleep at night.” So far, the streamer has yet to share any additional information about the blacklist, but be sure to keep it locked to Dexerto for all the latest streaming and Call of Duty news.

  • Nadia believes Warzone 2 should have Resurgence map at launch – Dexerto

Nadia believes Warzone 2 should have Resurgence map at launch ActivisionWarzone streamer Nadia has said that she believes Warzone 2 should launch with a small Resurgence map alongside Al Mazrah, given how popular the game mode has become. Call of Duty grew to even greater heights when Warzone first launched in 2020, becoming one of the most popular games worldwide with millions of players from all different other games opting to drop into Verdansk. The game became even more popular after it first implemented Rebirth Island into the game, an integration of Black Ops Cold War with a new small map, and the Resurgence mode that saw players able to respawn and fly back in at their opponents. Warzone devs Raven Software added to that in 2022 when they introduced another Resurgence map to the game in Fortune’s Keep. However, after leaks hinted that Warzone 2 wouldn’t launch with a Resurgence map and would instead bring one midway through 2023, Nadia has made her thoughts known. After fellow content creator FaZe Swagg asked whether Warzone 2 should come with a Resurgence mode, Nadia was very quick to respond with a simple “yes.” She expanded: “I feel like, because of what Resurgence did for this game, it did a lot, honestly. A lot of people didn’t like Caldera. Look how many switched over to Rebirth. Even me, I did that. I didn’t like Caldera and I switched to Rebirth. “But I feel like they won’t because they want people to play the new map, which I understand too.” Timestamp 8:47 These small Resurgence maps have definitely become incredibly popular among Call of Duty players, especially as Caldera replaced Verdansk and the map wasn’t quite as beloved. While it does seem unlikely that Warzone 2 will come with a Resurgence map alongside Al Mazrah, if the reception is worse than it was for Caldera, they may well look to speed up the development process of their planned smaller map to try to appease players. But, only time will tell on that, as Warzone 2 launches on November 16.

  • Nadeshot’s Halloween costume is a blast from the past – Dexerto

Nadeshot’s Halloween costume is a blast from the past Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag decided to look into his past for inspiration when choosing his Halloween costume for this year. The 100 Thieves CEO’s costume of choice was a blast from the past, as he decided to don his old OpTic Gaming jersey for this year’s Halloween celebration. Nadeshot proudly displayed his old jersey live on his stream, wishing “Happy Halloween” to his viewers with a big smile on his face. The jersey appears to be the final one he wore prior to retiring from competitive Call of Duty, which would have been at the 2015 CoD Champs, where he and his OpTic squad infamously placed 7th. However, the jersey fits him now just as well as it did back then, and seeing Nadeshot in the green and white threw many of his viewers and some on social media into a spiral of nostalgia. Prior to retiring and creating 100 Thieves, Nadeshot captained OpTic Gaming for several years, establishing himself as a household name among the competitive CoD community. During his time with the Green Wall, he won several major tournaments, including CoD XP in 2011 and the MLG X Games Invitational in 2014. It seems as though OpTic Gaming have become a trend this Halloween, as eUnited and current OpTic captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner were involved in a verbal altercation on Twitter earlier in the day after the org roasted OpTic for their poor placement at 2018 CWL Champs. Later on, Team Envy’s Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo posted an image of three tombstones, all with the OpTic logo on them, to represent all of the seasons in which his teammate Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price eliminated them from Champs. Happy Halloween! Always easy to spot @ACHES house when trick or treating :shushing: pic.twitter.com/NekuCL85BA — NV Justin Fargo uwu (@silly702) November 1, 2018 However, unlike those situations, Nadeshot wearing his old OpTic jersey on stream for Halloween is likely a much good-humored and sentimental decision rather than malicious. Despite 100 Thieves and OpTic Gaming being rivals, Nadeshot and OpTic CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez remain good friends and hold strong mutual respect for each other.

  • Nadeshot’s First Look at What Competitive Play Could be Like in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

Nadeshot’s First Look at What Competitive Play Could be Like in Black Ops 4 Matt “Nadeshot” Haag put plenty of hours into the Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta in August, and has uploaded one of his gameplays which he says provides a glimpse into what competitive could be like in the new game. As a former professional CoD player, Nadeshot is as experienced and knowledgable as anyone on the intricacies of competitive play, and what a CoD game needs to excel in this area. With so many changes to the fundamentals of Call of Duty with Black Ops 4 (manual healing, specialists, increased health, 5v5 public matches etc.), the competitive community is scrutinising the new title heavily. 5v5 has perhaps been the most debated topic. With competitive play typically 4v4, rumors have been emerging that 5v5 may be a compromise to not only better suit the game, but help attract more casual players to competitive. More: When Does Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta Begin? Everything We Know So Far – Release Date, Features and More – Because of course the beta was purely public matches, Nadeshot’s gameplay is 5v5 by default, in a standard match of hardpoint with everything permitted, against another party of five players. As Nadeshot says both teams were trying super hard, which provides a glimpse into how competitive would be played also. Nadeshot’s team consisted of other former pros Damon “Karma” Barlow and Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler, as well as ex-caster Jack “CouRage” Dunlop and OpTic Gaming member Austin “Pamaj” Pamajewon. The match is certainly fast-paced, but not necessarily chaotic. There seemed to always be engagements and a lot of individual plays, but the teamwork was definitely on show as well. When considering arguments for and against 5v5, there is little here at this early stage that would suggest it would be a disastrous shift, at least in terms of pure gameplay. More: 2018 CWL Championship Coverage Hub – Streams, Schedule (International Timings), Matchups, and More! – However there is more to be considered than just gameplay alone, as logistics around rulesets, team formations and more must be taken into account. Regardless, this glimpse into competitive hardpoint in Black Ops 4 is a good indication as to what we could expect when the full game launches on October 12.

  • Nadeshot shares his wild celebration after 100 Thieves’ CWL London win – Dexerto

Nadeshot shares his wild celebration after 100 Thieves’ CWL London win L: Nadeshot/Youtube. R: 100 Thieves.Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has finally revealed his full reaction to 100 Thieves‘ CWL London success, showing that he didn’t believe it was actually happening, and how he also ‘appeared’ at the event despite being thousands of miles away. 100 Thieves secured their first Call of Duty event title at CWL London, breaking the hearts of eUnited after they had made a miraculous losers bracket run. Fans had already gotten a glimpse at Nadeshot’s immediate reaction thanks to tweets from Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who lives with Nadeshot, after he ran into his room and videoed Nade celebrating. In CouRage’s video, the 100 Thieves COO claimed that he was going to “pass out” because of the success, but in his own video, he calmed down just a little bit to take it all in – even managing to pass on a few messages to his team. Nade’s reaction was as incredible as you might expect, displaying his pride with a ton of emotional – and plenty of cries of “Let’s go” too. Lots of love poured in from his fellow 100 Thieves members, including Call of Duty coach James ‘Crowder’ Crowder who immediately text him from the CWL stage. Despite not being there, the former CoD star even appeared for the trophy lift as he FaceTimed with Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders to give the team a message. “I fucking love each and every one of you,” Nade told his team. “Let’s fucking go!” How will Nade celebrate in the future? While Nade admitted that he wasn’t going to be in London because of his “overwhelming anxiety while flying long distances,” he at least got to ‘be’ there in some capacity. With the one-and-only European event on the calendar officially out of the way, it’s probably a safe bet to think that the former OpTic Gaming star is going to be supporting his boys from the arena as they go in search of further success later in the season. His celebrations, this time, might not have been the crazy, flipping out celebrations that some longtime fans may have expected from Nade, but who knows, there may be something next level in store if the Thieves ever take home CoD Champs.

  • Nadeshot demands COD devs fix “terrible” anti-cheat as hackers plague MW3 & Warzone – Dexerto

Nadeshot demands COD devs fix “terrible” anti-cheat as hackers plague MW3 & Warzone Twitch: nadeshotFormer Call of Duty pro turned 100 Thieves founder Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag has called for the devs to address the game’s problems with cheaters and server tick ahead of the 2024 sequel reveal. Call of Duty’s 2024 reveal is set for later this year, and there’s been plenty of rumors swirling ahead of any official announcements. However, not everyone is talking about what’s on the cards for the next CoD. Some fans are instead talking about what’s going wrong with the game, currently. There’s no denying both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 have a cheat problem. There’s been complaints about aim-bots, wallhacks, and all manner of wild exploits in recent months. And these aren’t entirely new problems either. CoD’s faced a cheating problem for quite some time now, despite the developer’s attempts to find a solution in RICOCHET. Now, retired Call of Duty pro, Nadeshot has thrown his voice behind the community, urging the devs to fix what he refers to as the series’ most “glaring issues” before CoD’s 2024 reveal. While the former pro began his comment with, “Call of Duty, I love you,” and praised elements of the game. He still had a clear message for the developers. “Ricochet is absolutely terrible and regardless of data shared with the community, it’s not working.” He said. “Ranked MW3 is plagued with cheaters and I don’t even want to know what Resurgence looks like.” The comments echoed sentiments widely shared by players on social media in recent months about cheaters making the game near unplayable. “Fix anti-cheat,” he said, “this should be the biggest priority you have internally.” But Nadeshot didn’t stop there. “Then invest in higher tick rate servers,” he continued. Claiming that while this might not be a core issue for the casual playerbase, it would be a drastic improvement for the game overall in terms of “future titles and player engagement.” Nadeshot’s comments resonated strongly with the community at large, with hundreds of players chiming in to agree.

  • Nadeshot unveils Warzone 2 wishlist after player count reportedly tanked – Dexerto

Nadeshot unveils Warzone 2 wishlist after player count reportedly tanked Twitch: NadeshotNadeshot is a Call of Duty legend and after reports that Warzone 2’s player count has dropped significantly, he’s provided a list of things that might pull the community back to the title. Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has seen most of the highest heights that Call of Duty has to offer. The 30-year-old 100 Thieves CEO made his name as both a pro player and content creator in the franchise, so it’s safe to say he has some level of expertise when it comes to these things. While the alleged situation regarding Warzone 2’s player count paints a grim picture for the new battle royale, Haag believes it’s not too late to put things in order and he’s got plenty of ideas on where the devs could start. Nadeshot’s Warzone 2 wishlist offers ideas for the game In a Twitter post by Nadeshot, the longtime fan outlines a list of potential changes that could improve both gameplay and player counts for Warzone 2. Some of the primary targets, like a comprehensive Ranked playlist and a rework of the game’s looting system, have been common requests since the game’s launch. Below is the full list of Nadeshot’s requests: Add the ability to plate while sprinting – Add ranked play and comprehensive stats – Significantly reduce headshot multiplier – Add reload canceling – Increase universal movement speed by 10% – Rework the looting system entirely – The removal of the reload cancel also caused quite a stir back around the release and would likely be a welcome reintegration. The other concepts aim to fix other complaints that have crept up across the first months of Warzone 2. Faster universal speed and the ability to plate while running would significantly speed up the game, addressing concerns that it’s currently too slow and that movement has a significantly reduced impact in comparison to the original game. There’s no way to know for sure if these changes would be enough to make up for all the allegedly lost ground but if the devs were to listen to anyone, Nadeshot’s experience certainly gives his ideas a level of credence.

  • Nadeshot thinks the Black Ops 4 tournament scene has a major problem – Dexerto

Nadeshot thinks the Black Ops 4 tournament scene has a major problem 100 Thieves owner Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag shared his thoughts on the state of the online Call of Duty tournament scene and how it can be improved. With the release of Black Ops 4, competitive players will soon be venturing beyond the game itself to play in tournaments and wager matches. There are multiple websites where players can compete in such tournaments, something that Nadeshot thinks needs to change for the better of the community. With so many websites in existence, Nadeshot is afraid that the community will be divided to the point where it ceases to exist, something he claims has happened to the Search and Destroy community in the past. To prevent this from happening, Nadeshot has suggested that Activision step in to shut down all 3rd party websites and regulate online tournaments through a single service. Multiple websites hosting countless Call of Duty tournaments every night is what killed the Search and Destroy community. Activision needs to shut down all 3rd party sites and regulate online tournaments back on Gamebattles so winning actually means something again. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) October 12, 2018 Nadeshot originally suggested that Activision stick with Gamebattles as the main source of all online tournaments, but many fans replied saying that Gamebattles isn’t the best site to use for various reasons. In a follow-up tweet, Nadeshot clarified that he didn’t care what site was used but that what matters most is “there [being] one site and one site only with the rights to host Call of Duty tournaments and wagers.” Gamebattles wasn’t the point of the tweet, I shouldn’t have used any specific site as the destination for tournaments. I just think it’s important that there be one site and one site only with the rights to host Call of Duty tournaments and wagers. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) October 12, 2018 With the CWL already taken a more cautious approach to the competitive scene in Black Ops 4 by bringing pro players out to develop the ruleset for the upcoming season, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see them step in and regulate the online community.

  • Nadeshot & Teep say Dr Disrespect’s streaming style causes Warzone issues – Dexerto

Nadeshot & Teep say Dr Disrespect’s streaming style causes Warzone issues Instagram: nadeshot, drdisrespectIn the latest episode of The Courage & Nadeshot Show, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and Tyler ‘Teepee’ Polchow discussed who’s a better Warzone player out of Dr Disrespect or TimTheTatman – and suggested Doc’s stream style causes them some issues. You regularly see various combinations of Nadeshot, Teepee, Tim and the Doc playing together alongside other top personalities such as Symfuhny, Cloakzy or Scump, and each bring their own unique energy to the game. In a discussion about who is the better teammate out of Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman, though, the decision seemed to be unanimous. While Tim is regularly a butt of many jokes for perhaps not being as mechanically skilled as those he plays with, he’s evidently still a good Warzone player despite not having that strong competitive background, like Teep and Nade do. On the other hand, Dr Disrespect has always been seen as somewhat of a battle royale king who, while incredibly entertaining, is actually a really great player too. While Tim and Doc enjoy some back-and-forth banter over each other’s abilities, Nade and Teep decided to put the debate to rest and reveal who they think is the better of the two, and the decision was unanimous for one reason. The former Call of Duty greats both agreed that they prefer to play with Tim, because the Two-Time’s unique streaming style can become somewhat problematic. “In my opinion, Tim is better than Dr Disrespect,” Nadeshot said. “The Doc just gets bored and wants to entertain his stream, so he’ll get in a car and go halfway across the map… he just goes off and does stupid sh*t and ends up dying.” (Timestamp 42:30) He added that while this style of play “works really well for his stream,” it’s “frustrating” when everybody else is trying to win. His final note on the matter was a concise one. “I think Doc is a good player, but I think he does stupid sh*t on purpose,” before suggesting that it’s possible “he just has terrible decision-making.” While Doc is extremely entertaining, you can definitely see why Nadeshot and others would struggle to play with him, especially if you’re trying to chase kills and wins in Verdansk. But, that’s just how Doc is, and we’re not going to complain about it.

  • Nadeshot teases new addition to 100 Thieves’ Call of Duty team – Dexerto

Nadeshot teases new addition to 100 Thieves’ Call of Duty team The Black Ops 4 season hasn’t been the greatest journey for 100 Thieves’ Call of Duty team, but it looks like they’re set to receive a major boost heading into the CWL Pro League. 100 Thieves started the season with a disappointing 9th-12th finish at CWL Vegas, but ultimately found their footing to qualify for the CWL Pro League. It now looks as though the team is going to be receiving some extra help during the Pro League, according to 100 Thieves CEO and Founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. Nadeshot was doing an Ask Me Anything on the 100 Thieves’ official subreddit when he was asked about the prospect of the team securing a coach for the CoD roster. Read More: Treyarch detail what’s to come in v1.12 update – League Play, Blackout balancing, new Zombies content, and more – “[We’re] working on it, [we] have some really great options. We’re going to work this out, just be patient and I believe all of our Call of Duty supporters are going to be happy,” Nadeshot said about his team picking up a coach. Given the ups and down the 100 Thieves roster has gone through this year, the acquisition of a coach could only serve to help the roster improve even more going into the Pro League. This is especially true given some of the talent that will be available to coach during the season. With the Pro League moving away from a two-stage format with relegation, any of the teams that missed out on qualifying have no second chance to make it back in. As such, some of those players who failed to qualify have turned to coaching for the upcoming Pro League. In addition to a new coach, 100 Thieves will also soon be picking up a sixth player since each Pro League team is required to have a substitute. The CWL Pro League kicks off on February 4, while 100 Thieves will also compete atCWL Fort Worth in March.

  • Nadeshot teases CoD fans with 100 Thieves CDL rumors – Dexerto

Nadeshot teases CoD fans with 100 Thieves CDL rumors Instagram: Nadeshot100 Thieves CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has been having some fun with Call of Duty fans following speculation that he and his organization could join the CDL next season. After the Black Ops 4 season, many fans hoped to see Nadeshot and 100 Thieves continue their dominance by making the leap into Call of Duty League for the first season of franchising. But, that never happened. Last August, Nade stated that while he and 100 Thieves wanted to stay in Call of Duty, joining the CDL was a risk they couldn’t take because of how much money needed to be invested. That hasn’t stopped fans begging for him and the Thieves to join, though, especially after long-time friend Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez reportedly reacquired OpTic Gaming and their Los Angeles franchise spot. With speculation swirling that H3CZ could sell that spot to the former OpTic Gaming member, paving the way for 100 Thieves to join the league, Nade shut down that rumor on stream. But, that hasn’t stopped him having a little fun with the rumors. On October 2, the former Call of Duty pro posted an image of himself hugging two of 100 Thieves’ trophies from the Black Ops 4 season to Instagram. It quickly sparked interest in the comments that he was teasing a return. “Don’t tease us like this,” replied one fan. Others, though, noted that it was bait. “This is such Bait,” one said, while another added, “You’re just teasing us at this point.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CF01A3JMGd5/ He followed that up with an image of himself, H3CZ, and Dr Disrespect captioned “Mount Rushmore” on October 3. Given the hints from Doc himself that he wants to be involved with a CDL team, specifically in San Diego, quickly believed the image to be just another tease. https://www.instagram.com/p/CF5aqjYM9A6/ While the posts might have added fuel to the fire for some fans, Nadeshot himself has admitted that he’d like to return to Call of Duty with 100 Thieves but it’s unlikely to happen just yet. Nade did add that it could happen “down the road” so if everything makes sense and the opportunity comes up, the Thieves could return at some point. For now, though, we’ll just have to keep an eye on things, but it appears he’s just having fun with the rumors.

  • Nadeshot teases 100 Thieves team house in LA, inspired by the OpTic house – Dexerto

Nadeshot teases 100 Thieves team house in LA, inspired by the OpTic house Nadeshot / YouTube100 Thieves founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has teased a new 100 Thieves team house in Los Angeles, citing inspiration from his time in the OpTic Gaming house. Formerly a professional Call of Duty player for OpTic, Nadeshot lived with his teammates and OpTic owner Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez for a number of years, during his time competing. And it sounds like he plans to follow in OpTic’s footsteps by potentially purchasing a team house for 100 Thieves, as he moves out of his LA apartment. After stepping down from competitive, Nadeshot moved to LA to become a full time YouTuber and streamer, but his itch for competition remained, leading him to start his own esports organization in 2016. Now fielding teams in Call of Duty, League of Legends, Fortnite and Clash Royale, a handful of content creators and 17 employees, Nadeshot thinks it’s time to expand the organization’s real estate as well. In his December 21 YouTube video, Nadeshot reveals: “I’m going to be moving into a house. […] Some of my favorite memories are living at the OpTic house, and combine those with moving out to LA and living on my own, it’s hard to piece together what truly makes me happy”. “But for me, and specifically this YouTube channel, it will be really good for me to be around other people that are like-minded. I really miss being able to create on this YouTube channel, and have other people around me that are excited to create as well.” You can spot Nadeshot in what could be the team house at the 7:30 minute mark in his vlog, but he says: “I’m not going to speak about too much where I am right now” – clearly keeping the potential team house under wraps. The 100 Thieves organization has grown rapidly, receiving financial backing from Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, and announcing rap superstar Drake and talent agent Scooter Braun would be joining as co-owners. A team house would certainly encourage even more content creation and help bolster the team’s social presence, which is already extensive thanks to Nadeshot’s own personal following. Whether players from the 100 Thieves teams would be staying, or only employees, is unclear. 100 Thieves previously unveiled their League of Legends team house in association with Rocket Mortgage (another of Dan Gilbert’s businesses), and the 2019 LCS season is about to begin in January, held at the Riot Studios in Los Angeles.. Some members of the Call of Duty team already live in LA, so even if they don’t plan to move into a team house permanently, they could easily visit and feature in content. Nadeshot says he will reveal more about the organization’s plans in the coming weeks, as they gear up for a big 2019.

Nadeshot surprises 100 Thieves roster with expensive reward for winning CWL London 100 Thieves lifted their first major trophy as an organization following their win over eUnited at CWL London, and owner Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag was eager to reward his team’s hard work. Despite losing against OpTic Gaming in pool play, 100T were on fire in the winners bracket – knocking out eUnited and Gen.G before beating OpTic in a rematch to reach their first ever grand finals. They were faced with another similar foe in the form of eUnited but 100 Thieves couldn’t be stopped – winning the series 3-1 to land their first major tournament victory as an organization – which almost made Nadeshot pass out while celebrating. Much of their success can be benefitted to Sam ‘Octane’ Lerew who was rightly named MVP following a superb performance, ending the event with a K/D of 1.27. Nadeshot, who enjoyed plenty of success during his time as a pro player, was quick to reward his team’s efforts after they returned home with a trophy in hand, purchasing a bag full of expensive Louis Vuitton gifts for them to enjoy. While the gifts will undoubtedly be another significant boost to the team’s morale, the focus will now turn to perfecting their game ahead of the next major event, CWL Anaheim, will takes place June 14-16 in California. Should the team reign victorious again, Nadeshot might take them for yet another spending spree to celebrate.

  • Nadeshot stunned by Warzone 2 shadowban after false “hacking” claims – Dexerto

Nadeshot stunned by Warzone 2 shadowban after false “hacking” claims YouTube: Nadeshot, Call of DutyIt was a rough day for 100 Thieves owner and former Call of Duty pro Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag as he was temporarily shadowbanned on Warzone 2. Shadowbanning in Warzone 2 has been an issue since the game’s release, particularly with bigger streamers on Twitch and YouTube. Player reports can cause your Warzone 2 account to become locked for a certain period of time before you are able to play again, regardless of whether the reports are true or not. Streamers, who are often targeted for reports, have spoken out against this system, with many noting that the system is easily exploited and the shadowbans can be reversed and then reinstated without notice. Nadeshot appears to be the latest prominent streamer to get shadowbanned. Warzone 2 shadowban frustrates Nadeshot On stream, Nadeshot was stunned to find that his account had been locked and he was unable to play Warzone 2 because of player reports. The ticket that Nadeshot showed on stream says that the ban was for both Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, and Nade explained that he believes he was falsely reported by other players for “hacking.” The 100 Thieves owner vented his frustration with the situation. “This is annoying to deal with…the idea that if you get reported enough…that they will review your account before you can play again…that makes me think what is the point of Ricochet?” Ricochet is the new anti-cheat software that was introduced for both Call of Duty multiplayer and Warzone. In addition to being frustrated that player reports are being prioritized even when the anti-cheat software doesn’t detect any issues, Nade also reiterated the point about streamers getting targeted. “Again, this probably will only happen to streamers,” he said. Luckily for Nadeshot, his shadowban was quickly reversed just an hour after the initial notification, but the streamer’s frustration was clearly evident while working to sort out the issue. And, given that undone shadowbans have been reinstated in the past, there’s no guarantee his Warzone 2 session will be smooth sailing from here.

  • Nadeshot stunned as Scump wall runs in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Nadeshot stunned as Scump wall runs in Modern Warfare 100 Thieves CEO and former Call of Duty professional Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, was left amazed after Seth ‘Scump’ Abner appeared to ‘wall-run’ during a game of Modern Warfare. The post-release phase of Modern Warfare has been one of the more hard-pressed times for Infinity Ward, as they seek to implement changes on the fly, while ensuring the game runs to an almost perfect standard that is true to its original idea. However, yet another snag has cropped up, as Call of Duty’s bread-and-butter ‘boots on the ground’ style has received an unsolicited return of the wall running mechanic that was synonymous with previous iterations within the franchise. While playing Search and Destroy on Rammaza with the Old Men of OpTic trio (Hecz, Hutch, and Di3sel), Nadeshot spotted former teammate, Scump, bizarrely walking along an opened door and not too far off the ground. Working their way through Cafe on their approach to the B-bombsite, Haag exclaimed: “Damn, you got some loud-ass feet, Seth. You f**k.” Boots on the ground? Yeah right, wall running is back. pic.twitter.com/fhN3lkStBn — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) November 11, 2019 In the duo’s attempt to pave way for the bomb carrier, they breached their way through to Back Alley near the bombsite, after Nade noticed that Scump embraced his parkour skills and scurried in a Matrix-esque way along the door: “Yo, I swear to god, you just wall-ran,” Nadeshot said. Trying to remain focused on the task-at-hand, Nadeshot ignored the elephant in the room until he later tweeted it out, captioned: “Boots on the ground? Yeah right, wall running is back.” Since wall running isn’t a mechanic directly built into the engine within Modern Warfare, it could have just been a glitch that appeared from Nadeshot’s perspective on Scump’s character model — albeit, giving Nade some unwarranted flashbacks to the futuristic style of Advanced Warfare. Nonetheless, Infinity Ward will likely seek to address the issue in quick time, as Modern Warfare was set to return the Call of Duty franchise back to its roots of grounded, tactical gameplay — as opposed to the fast-paced, gung-ho style of play that goes hand-in-fist with wall running.

  • Nadeshot slams Call of Duty anti-cheat: “I would hit the reset button” – Dexerto

Nadeshot slams Call of Duty anti-cheat: “I would hit the reset button” Nadeshot100 Thieves CEO and retired Call of Duty professional player Nadeshot took to his stream to rant about the cheating issues plaguing Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Cheaters have run rampant in MW3 through third-party cheating applications and the introduction of controller modifications. While cheaters have been running around in the competitive scene of CoD for years, the most recent rendition has more and more faces within the community speaking out. Activision released a statement about Ricochet, the anti-cheat system in place for CoD, saying that it banned over 6,000 accounts from February 16 to 20. Nadeshot responded to that statement by saying that Ricochet’s ability to withstand cheaters was not doing enough to solve the epidemic plaguing ranked play. Now, a few days after Nadeshot made that initial response on Twitter/X, he has gone onto his stream to rant and explain more about what he would do if he were in charge of combating cheaters at Activision. Nadeshot criticizes Call of Duty anti-cheat Nadeshot started his rant by giving Activision the benefit of the doubt. He said he understands that companies and software developers creating these cheats can turn them out faster than Activision can block them. However, he blames this process on Activision not taking the time to ensure that the anti-cheat system is as strong as it can be the first time around. “If I were Activision, for the first time in my life, I would hit the reset button and I would make decisions for the community,” Nadeshot said. “I would shut this f****** game down for the next month, two, three, four, five six – however long it takes. I would use all the resources at my disposal to get Ricochet up to speed and have it working up to the level that the community expects.” While this idea may seem logical in theory, Nadeshot also recognizes that shutting down Call of Duty for multiple months would not be profitable for Activision. It would also cause an uproar in the community who would not be able to play the game they spent $70 to play. Activision has made no further comments regarding its battle against hackers and cheaters. Additionally, the company has also not made any announcement regarding Ricochet’s performance or if there will be improvements in the future.

  • Nadeshot slams Activision’s handling of competitive COD: “I’m the fool” for entering CDL – Dexerto

Nadeshot slams Activision’s handling of competitive COD: “I’m the fool” for entering CDL Activision100 Thieves founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag is kicking himself for getting involved in the Call of Duty League over Activision’s handling of the esport. Vanguard is the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise and it’s been fairly criticized by pros and casuals alike for its gameplay, return to a World War 2 setting and the overall state of the title. One big issue that pros and teams are having, separate from just the game itself, is how Activision is currently handling the COD competitive scene. CDL’s Vanguard season will kick off in February. The game was released in early November and the long gap without any official events led Nadeshot to publicly call out the league organizers. We literally went from players fighting for their pride and respect every single weekend through a 256-512 team bracket for $1,000 bucks each in front of 100,000 people to no competition or tournaments until 3 months after the game has been released. Wake up @Activision. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) December 30, 2021 Nadeshot takes aim at Activision In a series of tweets, the 100 Thieves founder began by comparing the glory days of CoD esports to the current state of the competition. “We literally went from players fighting for their pride and respect every single weekend through a 256-512 team bracket for $1,000 bucks each in front of 100,000 people to no competition or tournaments until 3 months after the game has been released,” he blasted. “Wake up, Activision.” He went on to complain about the current format that prohibits teams from competing until February, claiming it prevents true storylines and rivalries from forming. Call of Duty arguably has the most entertaining, outspoken & personable players out of any esports community. Storylines and rivalries that literally span across a DECADE. Vanguard releases and the league says, “”you’re not allowed to compete on stream together until February”” 😂 — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) December 30, 2021 “Call of Duty arguably has the most entertaining, outspoken & personable players out of any esports community. Storylines and rivalries that literally span across a DECADE. Vanguard releases and the league says, ‘you’re not allowed to compete on stream together until February,’” he mocked to the tune of a laughing emoji. To add an exclamation point to his criticism, he voiced how excited he was to get involved with CDL and how he pleaded with his board of directors to get back into the esport only for things to fall apart. I went to our board of directors pleading for us to get back into competitive Call of Duty. I said let’s spend the money, let’s give our community what they’re asking for, just trust me and I’ll make sure LA Thieves is a success. Two years later, I guess I’m the fool. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) December 30, 2021 “I said let’s spend the money, let’s give our community what they’re asking for, just trust me and I’ll make sure LA Thieves is a success. Two years later, I guess I’m the fool,” he remarked. It’s unclear if Activision will revamp its ways or respond to Nadeshot’s comments, but it’s clear that many are not happy and want to see some major changes to the way the esport is being handled.

  • Nadeshot shows off his “must use” Bruen Mk9 Warzone class – Dexerto

Nadeshot shows off his “must use” Bruen Mk9 Warzone class Activision/100 ThievesNadeshot, ex-Call of Duty professional and owner of 100 Thieves, has revealed his “must use” Bruen Mk9 class for Warzone as the LMG continues to dominate the meta in Verdansk. Warzone’s meta changes in Season 4 have seen the Bruen grow to be the best gun in the game, picking up where the Grau 5.56 left off. It’s incredible damage output and manageable recoil mean it is able to outperform nearly every other weapon at medium to longer range. We’ve seen a variety of set ups used by prominent community members, but now, Nadeshot has shared his “must use” Bruen class that he uses to dominate his opponents. Nadeshot Bruen Mk9 Warzone Loadout VLK 3.0x Optic – Monolithic Suppressor – XRK Summit 26.8″ – 60 round mags – Tac Laser – The class is certainly designed for medium to longer ranges. The Monolithic Suppressor and heavier barrel will significantly improve damage range, while also reducing recoil. The former will also keep players off enemy radars while firing, ideal to ambush enemies in Verdansk. His chosen optic, too, is designed for longer range engagements. This is one attachment you can swap out if you prefer a different optic, like a thermal sight. The Tac Laser and 60 round mags will go some way to negate the handling and mobility penalties incurred by the heavier barrel. Reload time, too, will be massively reduced by the 60 round mags – an absolutely essential attachment on the Bruen in any game mode. Despite the Grau dominating Warzone’s opening months, the nerfs it received in recent updates has seen the Bruen come into its own as the best weapon in the game. It has become so dominant, in fact, that a host of community members have called for it to be nerfed in the near future. Whether Infinity Ward have a nerf coming for the Bruen in an upcoming update is another matter, but try out Nadeshot’s class while it’s still Warzone’s top dog.

  • Nadeshot shocks fan with incredible gift after Warzone duo challenge – Dexerto

Nadeshot shocks fan with incredible gift after Warzone duo challenge Infinity WardA random Warzone player was left stunned after Call of Duty legend Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag put an incredible gift on the line if the duo could close out a win in their next match. It’s not every day that you randomly matchmake into a game with a competitive CoD icon, but that is exactly what happened to ‘Private_Pyle’ during a recent Warzone session. Simply searching for a duo lobby, this longtime fan was dropped into Verdansk with the 100 Thieves CEO. Before the round even started, however, Nadeshot noticed something was off. Noise was constantly coming from the microphone of his new duo. “Your PS4 sounds like it’s about to blow the f**k up man,” Nadeshot joked. In a matter of seconds, a new challenge was set in motion. “If we win this game I’ll buy you a brand new PS4,” he offered. Immediately accepting, the duo dropped near the airport and it was time to “sweat” to secure the victory. 145 players filled the lobby from the very beginning as Nadeshot and his ally got to work. In one of the very first engagements, it looked like the challenge would be short-lived. Private_Pyle was downed and had to win his Gulag battle extremely early into the game. Throughout the intense match, they worked together in constant communication. The player talked about his own 100 Thieves merchandise while Nadeshot offered advice in the moment to help their performance. They seemed to be getting along well on their way to a win, but one issue stood out. The PS4 was so loud that it drowned out much of Nadeshot’s in-game audio. There were even times throughout the challenge where Nadeshot asked his duo to mute his microphone. “If you see anybody you have to mute your mic because I can’t hear s**t.” After a clutch gunfight in the final moments, the duo actually managed to come away with the win. Immediately upping the rewards, Nadeshot offered a choice between a PS4 or a PS5 preorder but the 15-year-old duo went with the current-gen option. You can see the full challenge in Nadeshot’s July 29 upload below. “Private_Pyle clutched up, he was playing great,” Nadeshot said after adding his newfound duo as a friend on the PlayStation Network. “He earned it.” There’s no telling when the 100 Thieves CEO might be opening his Warzone squad again in the future. But if you get lucky and find yourself in his game, who knows what kind of incredible gifts could be on the line.

  • Nadeshot says YouTube money “isn’t worth” exclusivity deal – Dexerto

Nadeshot says YouTube money “isn’t worth” exclusivity deal YouTube: LA ThievesNadeshot has said that the Call of Duty League’s exclusivity deal is being paid a shockingly low amount for its exclusive media rights in the wake of its deal with YouTube. Sources revealed to Dexerto that the Call of Duty League will be signing a new deal to stream matches exclusively on YouTube starting from the 2023/24 season, which has prompted significant debate over exclusivity rights on Twitter. In one conversation between commentator Goldenboy and 100Thieves founder Nadeshot, the former pro revealed that the Call of Duty League is being paid a comparatively low amount for its exclusivity, and that “the juice isn’t worth the squeeze on this one.” Nadeshot speaks out on CDL YouTube deal The conversation began when games host and commentator Goldenboy spoke about the exclusivity deal on Twitter, where he said “Media rights are important for esports to make money.” In a reply, Nadeshot said: “You would be shocked by how little the CDL is being paid for exclusivity. I promise you, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze on this one.” Dexerto sources say that the Call of Duty League will be broadcasting on YouTube for two years. For the Modern Warfare II season, Call of Duty League matches were streamed on both YouTube and Twitch, although matches were originally only streamed on Twitch before the League opened it up to bring in more viewers. Viewership for the Call of Duty League peaked at over 330k during Major 3. For our exclusive details on the CDL deal with YouTube, check out our full explainer on the deal, and why it matters, here.

Released on October 24, Modern Warfare is the much-anticipated return to the Call of Duty franchise from renowned developers Infinity Ward. With pro players and content creators all streaming the game at launch, lobbies currently boast some of the best talent in the world. Having not competed at the elite level since his 2015 departure from OpTic Gaming, the now CEO of 100 Thieves hopped online and absolutely blasted some current players signed to franchise squads, showing he still has what it takes to hang with the best. • Nadeshot roasts Lightning Pandas CoD pro Xotic during Black Ops 4 match – Dexerto

Nadeshot roasts Lightning Pandas CoD pro Xotic during Black Ops 4 match Despite being an owner of one of the biggest esports organizations in Call of Duty, 100 Thieves’ Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag didn’t recognize a CoD pro in-game and hilarity ensued. Nadeshot was one of the lucky few who got a chance to play Black Ops 4 before it was officially released in America, meaning he constantly ran into the most dedicated players. One such player was Lighting Pandas’ own CoD pro player John ‘Xotic’ Bruno, who Nadeshot didn’t recognize until it was far too late. During a game of Domination, Nadeshot was surprised to find out that his team had won the game despite having been trapped in their spawn for most of the game. Nadeshot immediately recognizes ‘Xotic16’ in game since someone who goes by ‘Xotic’ is a frequent viewer and is usually active in Nadeshot’s chat. Read More: Black Ops 4 has the best rating and reviews )so far) of any CoD game since Modern Warfare 2 – “Xotic, are you in this fucking game? Are you my chat and game? Where things go wrong, though, is when Nadeshot makes the assumption that the enemy player was just a random and not the pro player. “This is a different one? I was about to say. That ‘Xotic’ dude is trash. ‘Xotic16,’ you fucking suck, bro. How are you spawn-killing my team that entire time and we beat you by 60-70 points? Garbage.” However, someone in chat lets Nadeshot know that the player is indeed the one and only Xotic, forcing the 100 Thieves owner to backtrack in hilarious fashion. “Oh, Xotic’s a pro? Oh shit, my bad. My bad,” he said hilariously. “You’re nasty. He’s a pro? Who is that? You’re mad nice!” Nadeshot might have put together one of the most impressive rosters for the upcoming Black Ops 4 season, but it seems like he might want to get a rundown of the pro scene before roasting another unsuspecting player.

  • Nadeshot Roasts Dr DisRespect on His Call of Duty Map Design – “No one played those trash maps” – Dexerto

Nadeshot Roasts Dr DisRespect on His Call of Duty Map Design – “No one played those trash maps” Former pro CoD player Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag roasted Dr DisRespect about his work on map design for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, as the two played some WWII and Black Ops 4 beta. Before resurrecting his Dr DisRespect character on Twitch and YouTube, Guy Beahm worked for Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games as a level designer, helping create multiplayer maps. He worked extensively on Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer’s first solely developed CoD title, and the first entry in the series with the ‘jetpack’ movement system. However, Advanced Warfare’s maps were a mixed bag. There were some gems that fans loved, but others that were certainly not fan favorites. Nadeshot doesn’t stop there though, asking the Doc to name some of the maps he worked on, unimpressed by the dynamic design of ‘Recovery’ – a map which shifted entirely half way through a match. Dr DisRespect played the Black Ops 4 beta extensively with Nadeshot and crew though, and provided some developer insight on design at this stage. According to the former CoD pro though, 100 Thieves very nearly didn’t exist, as he revealed that he was offered the opportunity to own a stake in FaZe Clan shortly after his departure from OpTic Gaming. In the June 20 episode of his Selfmade podcast, Nadeshot revealed that after exiting OpTic back in 2015, he received an offer to join the ownership structure of FaZe Clan, and that guest Justine ‘iJustine’ Ezarik and her sister Jenna convinced him to not to. “I’ve never talked about this before, I was offered a pretty sizeable equity stake in FaZe Clan,” the 26-year-old stated. “I left OpTic, I was on my own, I’m still good friends with a lot of the guys over there, and I could have been a very significant owner of FaZe Clan.” “I love what they’re doing, and they have a very unique spin on esports and content. But [iJustine] and Jenna were always like ‘No, don’t do it, red flag. Do it on your own. It’s not yours, that legacy has already been created.’” Nadeshot eventually agreed with the Ezariks’ opinion, creating 100 Thieves which has grown into a worldwide name in esports and content. The organization has disappointed in League of Legends, their first esports title, throughout 2019 with extremely poor results, but their Call of Duty squad’s back-to-back major wins set them up as favorites for the World Championships which take place in August. The landscape of esports could have been very different though, especially if Nadeshot had chosen to link up with FaZe Clan after his OpTic departure.

  • Nadeshot reveals why he actually wants Call of Duty to “flop” – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals why he actually wants Call of Duty to “flop” YT: 100 Thieves CastFormer CoD pro and 100 Thieves founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has revealed why he actually wants Activision’s FPS to “flop” for a “string of years” claiming it’d be for the series’ own good. Nadeshot has long been a household name in the Call of Duty community. First, he captivated the Greenwall with his time as a pro on OpTic Gaming and has, more recently, shot to success with his founding of esports organization 100 Thieves. While not as involved in Call of Duty as he once was, he continues to play annual installments and offer his thoughts on how and why they should be tweaked. On this year’s Modern Warfare 2, he recently explained that he doesn’t get the hate for the game, stating that the community knows what it is in store for when a new CoD title drops. He has also criticized Warzone 2.0 to some extent. Now, he has outlined why he actually wants Call of Duty to “flop”, claiming that the series stagnating would actually be good for it in the long run. Nadeshot thinks CoD might benefit from a “flop” On a recent episode of the CouRage and Nadeshot show, the pair delved into everything wrong with MW2 and the series in general. Among other discussion topics, Nade actually said he has had a “string of years” where he wants to see CoD fail. He explained: “As sh*tty as it might sound, I’ve always sort of hoped that there would be a string of years where Call of Duty just flops, just fails.” Timestamp: 31:09 “Because I think if they really recenter themselves and refocused and compartmentalized their intention,” he continued, “they would come out the other end with one of the best products — if they did it right and executed it properly — one of the best games you’ll ever play.” In short, a few years of stagnation and negative player feedback could spark a reset amongst the devs and propel CoD back to its all-time best. It seems unlikely, especially given the success of Modern Warfare 2. It currently sits as the most successful CoD launch ever, passing 2011’s Modern Warfare 3. Regardless, Nade’s hope of a “flop” for CoD clearly comes from a place of affection and passion, wanting to see the series become as strong as it can be.

  • Nadeshot reveals why he believes Call of Duty franchising is a “mistake” – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals why he believes Call of Duty franchising is a “mistake” Former Call of Duty professional and current 100 Thieves CEO, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has detailed why he refused to join the Call of Duty League and why he believes franchising is a “mistake.” One of the most recognizable names in the storied history of competitive CoD, Nadeshot initially made a name for himself competing under the OpTic Gaming banners before parting ways and forming his own organization 100 Thieves. After a phenomenal 2019 season that saw the 100 Thieves Call of Duty roster claim back to back championships at CWL London and CWL Anaheim, Nadeshot decided to exit the Call of Duty scene entirely amidst a controversial transition to a franchise-based league. The 100 Thieves CEO has now shared his line of reasoning for leaving the scene behind. Throughout a November 20 live-stream with 100 Thieves content creators The Mob, Nadeshot expanded on the departure and listed many factors that he believes will negatively impact the start of the franchise league in 2020. “What are your thoughts on franchising instead of how it used to be? Mako questioned to kickstart the heated discussion. “I think franchising was a mistake,” Nadeshot responded without hesitation. “Charging teams $25 million to be a part of a league that hasn’t really grown year over year is a mistake.” Echoing a similar sentiment to that of numerous professional players, he continued his argument in stating that “making teams fly across the world to play one best of five series is a mistake.” With the full schedule for the inaugural Call of Duty League split having recently been revealed, many active players were quick to voice their displeasure. Nadeshot’s former OpTic Gaming teammate Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper was one such player that took aim at the format, saying that it was a joke to host “international events for one series to be played for some of the teams.” Lol international events for one series to be played for some of the teams, hahahahhaahahhaahahahah — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) November 15, 2019 “I love the Call of Duty community and I love the fact that all of these pros are getting paid a lot of money,” Nadeshot continued. “I love the fact that Activision is at least trying to create a substantial investment in esports, but the problem is, they’re not even on the same page with Infinity Ward.” Addressing the state of Modern Warfare just weeks out from release, he indicated that the game was evidently not designed with competitive play in mind, hindering the potential for the league in its first year. “The [developers] actually went on record and said that they made this game so that a casual player would have a great experience and that the best players will have a bad experience, they actually said that word for word.” Wrapping up his argument, Nadeshot asserted that Activision’s lofty goals for Call of Duty League viewership are simply unattainable. “The fact of the matter is if OpTic is not playing in the finals, there’s like 40,000 people watching the tournament and they have this thesis that if they create this league, they’re going to have 500,000 or a million people watching Call of Duty tournaments which is f*cking insane.” With Activision’s 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals boasting a 16% viewership increase over the 2018 broadcast, trends have certainly been pivoting upwards for franchise-based esports. However, goals of reaching such a widespread audience throughout the first season clearly has Nadeshot doubting their judgement. With a number of issues having plagued Modern Warfare since launch, it’s no surprise that a former professional would be trepidatious about major expansion with matches being contested on such a shaky title. However with the first matches not scheduled to kick off until January 24 in Minnesota, ample time remains for Infinity Ward to polish the release.

  • Nadeshot reveals what he’ll do if 100 Thieves wins the first Black Ops 4 event – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals what he’ll do if 100 Thieves wins the first Black Ops 4 event As a former professional player, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag knows what it takes to win a championship in Call of Duty, and is putting his faith in his all star 100 Thieves lineup to pull it off at CWL Vegas. As only the first event of the season, the roster of Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez, Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt will need to put all their talent on show to pull off the win. Despite being a strong squad on paper, it has been a shaky start to the season for 100 Thieves, with a top 16 finish in the most recent CWL 2K (although with Kenny not playing), but the potential of the team is still to be realized. Nadeshot, the CEO and founder of the 100 Thieves organization, is of course backing his team to win the first event, CWL Vegas on December 7, and has said that if they do so, he will get a 100 Thieves tattoo to commemorate it. The team are not heading into the event as favorites, at least based on their online performances, but fans who watched the WWII season will recall that online results rarely reflect exactly at LAN events. “If 100 Thieves wins the first event, I’m getting a 100 Thieves tattoo,” Nadeshot said during a live stream, although it doesn’t sound like he’s made his mind up as to where exactly he will get it on his body. Presumably it would be a tattoo of the 100 Thieves logo, and if they don’t manage to win the first event Nadeshot will perhaps carry his promise over to the next event, until his team brings home a CoD championship. OpTic Gaming owner Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez, who Nadeshot played under for many years, has a tattoo of the OpTic logo himself, so perhaps he has been inspired by his mentor. CWL Vegas takes place on December 7-9, with the world’s best teams descending on the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, battling it out for a $250,000 prize pool.

Nadeshot reveals what he would have done if OpTic CoD team had been dropped Riot Games / MLG100 Thieves CEO Matthew ‘Call of Duty roster in 2018. Nadeshot was a large part of OpTic‘s growth, as a star member of their Call of Duty team from 2010 to 2015, pushing the brand to new levels of popularity. Following his retirement from professional play, Damon ‘Karma‘ Barlow replaced him on the roster, and this new lineup went on to become the winningest team in the history of the esport. However, due to complications with the players’ agent and clashes with OpTic parent company Infinite Esports, it has been revealed that plans were made to drop the Call of Duty team, alongside the Halo team (which was in fact dropped), in early 2018. Thankfully for OpTic fans, these plans for the CoD team never came to fruition, as it would have seen the organization lose popular personalities like Scump and Crimsix – but Nadeshot says he would have swooped them right up. “I just can’t fathom the thought of dropping the Call of Duty team,” Nadeshot exclaimed, “I mean, shit, I wish they would’ve, I would have signed Scump in a heartbeat.” Nadeshot also revealed that he was attempting to recruit Crimsix, as well as Karma, during the offseason heading into Black Ops 4. It’s known that Karma turned down the option to join 100 Thieves, largely due to the other teammates who he would have joined on the roster, choosing to rejoin OpTic instead. Infinite Esports is expected to sell the OpTic brand to Immortals, although H3CZ is also apparently in the running to retain the organization. Although it would have been a great opportunity for him and 100 Thieves, Nadeshot was clearly not on Infinite’s side on the decision to attempt to drop the squad, which is undoubtedly the most valuable roster in the CoD esports.

  • Nadeshot reveals why he wants 100 Thieves to beat OpTic Gaming at CWL Fort Worth – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals why he wants 100 Thieves to beat OpTic Gaming at CWL Fort Worth Scuf GamingThe second major tournament of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 season is only days away and 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag wants to see his squad beat their major rivals at CWL Fort Worth. In the March 11 episode of 100 Thieves’ 02100 YouTube series, Nadeshot revealed that his goal is to have the team not only take home the CWL Fort Worth trophy, but also defeat OpTic Gaming in the process. Fully bought into the idea of “you have to beat the best to become the best,” the young CEO wants to see his squad topple the the team that is widely considered to be the best in CoD esports. “I would love to beat OpTic Gaming,” he said. “They’ve set the bar high, they won [CWL] Vegas. The undisputed best team in the game right now. I would love to beat OpTic Gaming.” “It would be so sweet for so many different reasons,” he went on. “I would love to win a tournament by beating the best team. That’s as much as it comes down to for me. I want to beat the best team, I want to beat OpTic Gaming. That would be a dream come true.” Conversation starts at 8:04 mark Nadeshot’s ties with OpTic Gaming are both well-documented and deep-rooted. As a former pro player himself, he captained OpTic to numerous major championships, including a memorable gold medal performance at the 2014 MLG X Games Invitational. Since he’s departed from the org and established his own brand, and ultimately 100 Thieves, Nadeshot has always made it very clear that beating his former team will always be a top priority for him. The best example of this so far was when 100T met OpTic in the Spring Split of the 2018 North American League of Legends Championship Series, as he bought all of his players Yeezy shoes for beating the Green Wall in their first ever meeting. A victory against OpTic would also be a huge step forward for 100 Thieves, as it would further establish them as a legitimate powerhouse in the CWL. OG went unbeaten in their quest to take first place at CWL Vegas, so any team capable of beating the champs is capable of winning the whole thing. CWL Fort Worth could not have come at a better time for 100T, who go into the event as hot as any team after finishing their second week of the CWL Pro League with a strong 4-0 record. 100 Thieves will be facing Red Reserve, Enigma6 Group, and Evil Geniuses in Pool B, while OpTic have a slightly more difficult go of things as they’ve been grouped with eUnited, Envy, and Team Reciprocity in Pool D.

  • Nadeshot explains why he hates “terrible” Warzone Blueprint system – Dexerto

Nadeshot explains why he hates “terrible” Warzone Blueprint system Dexerto/ActivisionNadeshot, owner of 100 Thieves and ex-Call of Duty pro player, has revealed the one aspect of Warzone and Modern Warfare that he has a major aversion to, pleading with Infinity Ward to make changes. Despite Warzone’s incredible popularity – hitting 60 million players within a few months of release, players have quickly established a few features they are not fond of. Downtown, footstep audio, and RPG strength have all been touted as areas developers could adjust. However, during an episode of the CouRage and Nadeshot show, the X Games gold medallist shed some light on one area of Warzone he wants to see adjusted as soon as possible, and it might not be what you thought. “What needs to change, though,” Nade said. “Is the f**king camos. Alright, listen Infinity Ward… the camos f**king suck. Nobody wants the bullsh*t that you’re pedalling to us, it’s terrible. The Blueprints system sucks, it’s useless. Just give us reactive camos.” “The camos are dogsh*t!” he continued. “You tried to sell me an avocado pack where the gun literally looked like a baby threw up… I just can’t even fathom how many terrible camos I’ve bought.” He continued his criticism, stating that Modern Warfare’s system of selling ‘packs’ forces players to buy an entire set of camos, when they only want one or two from within the pack. Nadeshot also suggested that Infinity Ward would sell 10x as many weapon wraps if they stopped bundling them together in these undesirable ways. Both TeePee and CouRage echoed Nadeshot’s comments, comparing the camos in Warzone with those that featured in Blackout, and concluding that the Treyarch designed ones were far better. “If you just made good camos, good operators,” he finished, “and sold them individually instead of bubbling them all up, it sucks. And the item store layout sucks too.” Whether Infinity Ward take Nadeshot’s criticism and run with it remains to be seen, but many CoD fans have commented on the confusing item shop and lacklustre camos featured in both Warzone and Modern Warfare.

  • Nadeshot Reveals the First Thing that Octane Said to Him After Joining 100 Thieves – Dexerto

Nadeshot Reveals the First Thing that Octane Said to Him After Joining 100 Thieves Nadeshot’s 100 Thieves esports organization is making its triumphant return to Call of Duty for the Black Ops 4 season. Their newest member, Sam ‘Octane’ Larew wasted no time in getting excited for the upcoming season, immediately DMing his new boss Nadeshot. Nadeshot shared Octane’s message on his Twitter account. He left Luminosity to join the reworked OpTic Gaming squad that failed to make it out of the group stage at Champs, despite only losing a single match – to the eventual World Champs EG. Nadeshot is no stranger to the podium himself, winning numerous titles as a player for OpTic Gaming. He started the 100 Thieves organization after retiring as a player, but their first run in CoD esports failed to live up to the legacy of their owner. 100T placed t20 at Anaheim in Black Ops 3 and 12th place in the Stage 2 Playoffs before leaving CoD entirely. The org sat out the Infinite Warfare and WW2 seasons to focus on other areas of esports, including a League of Legends team in partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers. 100 Thieves returns for BO4 with a roster that expects to win titles as the aforementioned Octane is being joined by superstars Kenny and Fero. The fourth player has not been announced, but that has not stopped the rumors of former OpTic great Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow joining on.

  • Nadeshot reveals “rift” between 100 Thieves Warzone pros Tommey & Rated – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals “rift” between 100 Thieves Warzone pros Tommey & Rated YouTube, OpTic Chicago / 100 ThievesTrouble in 100 Thieves Warzone? According to Nadeshot, his top pros Tommey and Rated have recently begun “chirping” at each other and he wants them to go ahead and squash the beef. Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag pushed the Call of Duty: Warzone scene forward when he signed Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren onto 100T as a Warzone player. Then, he maintained that momentum by adding Tommey’s duo, Rhys ‘Rated’ Price. Soon after their additions, the duo of former CDL pros amicably split off with other teammates — Rated joining Aydan and Tommey joining Almond. That was all well and good, with each winning a number of tournaments for the 100T banner, until recent drama unfolded. As Nadeshot mentioned on the OpTic Preshow, Tommey and Rated seem to be at odds recently. While nothing unnaturally explosive, the 100T founder did elaborate about the drama and explain that he wants it resolved. (For mobile users, segment begins at 40:22) “Tommey and Rated are having a little bit of a rift as well, they’ve been chirping at each other. We’ve got to nip that in the bud.” As Nadeshot explained, there’s been some spice between his two star Verdansk slayers. Likening the beef to “old-school Call of Duty online tournaments,” the 100T founder proceeds to put on an English accent (or some version of one) and explain the dispute in Tommey’s voice. Essentially, coupling on context from Twitter, the drama centered on Rated and Tommey meeting in the Grand Finals of a tournament, which interfered with the schedule for another tournament (WarzoneMania) that Tommey was supposed to participate in. Rated was unwilling to reschedule and essentially forced a forfeit. To any tool tweeting Ben or I about playing in two tournaments, we asked to be removed the NYSL draft a few days prior as we wanted to play this tournament. They told us not to and they would accommodate so we could play both. — Tommey (@Tommey) June 8, 2021 I just want everyone to know I’m not blaming Tom & Ben at all I would of done the exact same thing I think they should of been able to play both & I wish I could of as well It’s just a complete flaw In the scheduling NYSL should of informed everyone they could do both/or neither — Rhys Price (@Rated_COD) June 8, 2021 As the tweets from Tommey and Rated show, this dispute was ultimately a messy one surrounding scheduling and time concerns. It’s very likely that Tommey reached out to Nadeshot in a particularly heated moment, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s real bad blood. As for diving into the details of who was right and who was wrong in the interaction, we’ll leave that up to Nade.

  • Nadeshot reveals possible teammates for competitive CoD return – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals possible teammates for competitive CoD return Call of Duty during the Modern Warfare season, and revealed who he would like to team with. Nadeshot is one of the most iconic CoD players of all time, and become one of Twitch’s biggest stars during his time on OpTic Gaming, which saw him win numerous LAN tournaments before his retirement following the 2015 Call of Duty Championships. Since then, the 27-year-old has gone on and created 100 Thieves, one of the world’s most popular esports organizations, but the release of Modern Warfare appears to have reunited his love for competition, and has teased that we may see him at an open event during the 2020 season. While streaming with former teammate Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, Nadeshot revealed his intention to compete at least once in Modern Warfare, insisting that he was “serious.” “Just wait on it bro,” he told FormaL. “I’m going to be going hard. I’m going to go to one of these open events bro, I’m not even kidding.” As far who he would be teaming with, the 100 Thieves CEO had no confirmed names, but mentioned a few people who he would like to compete with: “I don’t know, I’d grab BoZe. Fer0. Blazt. I’d have to convince them.” Of course, Nadeshot won’t be competing in the Call of Duty League, as you need to be on one of the 12 franchises that bought into the competition, something which 100 Thieves decided not to do ahead of the competition’s inaugural season. Instead, the American and his proposed squad would compete in one of the open tournaments, where any team can enter in hopes of earning some cash and pro points as part of the Challengers Series. As to when we will say Nadeshot pick up the sticks again in a competitive setting remains to be seen, but as each franchise city will host a weekend of matches throughout the year, it’s likely that he could appear in one of the Los Angeles events.

  • Nadeshot reveals which Modern Warfare map is the “worst ever made” – Dexerto

Nadeshot reveals which Modern Warfare map is the “worst ever made” 100 Thieves founder and former Call of Duty pro star Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has joined the chorus of players slamming Infinity Ward for their map design in the newly-released Modern Warfare, taking aim at Piccadilly in particular. After years playing under the OpTic Gaming banner alongside superstars like Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, the Greenwall icon stepped away from the gameplay side of esports, and turned his attention to his own organization. With the hype around the revamped Modern Warfare release in 2019, the 100T founder returned to the sticks, streaming his return to the Call of Duty grind and even entertaining thoughts of putting together a semi-pro team to compete again. Like many other stars, however, Nadeshot has been left disappointed by Infinity Ward’s map design, as well as a host of other issues surrounding the game, and took to Twitter to voice his concerns over one of the game’s most notorious maps. “Piccadilly is the worst Call of Duty map ever made,” he stated. If that wasn’t enough to drive his point home, the 100T mastermind added he would “rather play that shotgun and knives-only game modes on Stonehaven” if it meant he didn’t have to play “one more second on Piccadilly.” Scottish-based Ghosts map Stonehaven, alongside city-based Siege, are widely regarded as two of the franchise’s weakest-ever maps, so it’s particularly damning for Picadilly to be ranked lower than them in Nadeshot’s personal charts. Interestingly, after originally voicing his concerns with the London map, it seems the Two-Time has come around to one of the franchise’s most despised creations. “I’ll go ahead and say it…. Piccadilly is growing on me,” Dr Disrespect said after Nadeshot’s tweet, and added a cheeky stinger to make sure fans knew he was sharing some tongue-in-cheeky thoughts. “Too soon?” I’ll go ahead and say it…. Piccadilly is growing on me. — Dr Disrespect (@DrDisrespect) November 15, 2019 There were those that have strongly agreed with Haag though, and he wasn’t the only former OpTic star to air their grievances either – Matthew ‘FormaL‘ Piper dubbed Infinity Ward “f*cking idiots” for removing the multiplayer mini-map. “God damn it, where the f*ck is the mini-map? What the f*ck!” he said. “Why the f*ck did you release the CoD without a god damn mini-map, you f*cking idiots. Holy sh*t, that is too funny bro… you f*cking morons.” It’s not all been ranting, however, with FormaL’s Chicago Huntsman teammate Scump taking a cooler-headed approach to asking for changes. The 2017 World Champion suggested the developers “fix footsteps immediately,” as well as “nerf the (725) shotgun.” He also added that “the maps aren’t great” and said adding more options, as well as Ground War choices, could solve those issues. So far, Infinity Ward have been relatively silent in the face of overwhelming outrage from the Call of Duty community though. The devs have made several tweaks to the 725, and tried to balance foosteps, but overall there’s been limited changes so far. For many, it seems like the issues are reaching a breaking point. With the new 2020 Call of Duty League already appearing on the horizon, and many may have already moved on from the heavily criticized title, Infinity Ward may need to act soon if they want to save this year’s franchise release.

Nadeshot reveals how 100 Thieves were able to dominate OpTic in CWL Pro League 100 Thieves / YouTube100 Thieves swept OpTic Gaming in their first LAN meeting in Black Ops 4, cementing their top spot in CWL’s Division B, and Nadeshot took the opportunity to gloat a little about their impressive win. Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s history with OpTic Gaming need not be reiterated again, but suffice to say he was essentially the face of the organization for the majority of his Call of Duty career. His time with the Greenwall came to an end in 2015, when he decided to retire from competing (partly due to criticism from fans), but is now back in the world of Call of Duty esports, this time as a team owner. 100 Thieves find form just in time for OpTic match 100 Thieves, which also operates a successful (although currently struggling) League of Legends team in the LCS, came into the Black Ops 4 season with a superstar lineup, but didn’t have the performances to match – at least not at first. One roster change and new coach addition later, and the stacked squad is now beginning to show signs of hitting their full potential, and their win over OpTic in the CWL Pro League is perhaps their most powerful showing thus far. Nadeshot explains that the coach, James ‘Crowder’ Crowder, must have done his homework on OpTic, especially in the Search and Destroy mode, where they handled the CWL Las Vegas champs with ease. [Timestamp at 11:05 for mobile users] “Crowder and the team must have done a lot of work and review, because every single round, it was aggression, and it was snap decisions, and it was rotating.” Nadeshot explained, “I think they did their homework, and they were ready for OpTic Gaming.” 100T’s Crowder: “We did not win a tournament” Crowder himself was reserved in his appraisal, saying “it does mean a lot, but at the same time, we did not win a tournament or anything of the sort. We just have to keep using this momentum and confidence boost to make ourselves better going into the next event.” Next up for 100 Thieves will, in fact, be another match against OpTic Gaming, as they have been placed in the same group for CWL London. Their other pool play opponents will also be a challenge, in the shape of Enigma6 and Team Reciprocity.

Nadeshot rages at MW2 water as LA Thieves lose at CDL Champs Activision/Twitch: scump100 Thieves founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag lost his mind at the implementation of water in the Zarqwa Hydroelectric map in Modern Warfare 2, as his LA Thieves CDL team lost to Toronto Ultra at COD Champs following a huge play through the water around the edge of the map. Zarqwa Hydroelectric, or simply Hydro as it has become more commonly known, is a map that has split opinions in the Call of Duty community since MWII launched in October 2022. Surrounding the map are swathes of water, that have become incredibly common areas for players to rotate through, as well as with the water going under the map and providing access points throughout it. While the water has been heavily debated in a competitive setting, Hydro has remained in the Call of Duty League map pool, and Nadeshot couldn’t hide his disdain as he watched the LA Thieves lose their match to a sneaky water play from Ultra in the opening round of the $2.5m CDL Championship Weekend. Nadeshot livid at Modern Warfare 2 water It was the opening map of the series and things were kept pretty tight between the two in the Hardpoint, before Toronto ran away with it, using a back-spawn water route to take spawns for the new hill and ultimately win the map. “Why the f**k do we have water like this in Call of Duty,” he exclaimed, much to the enjoyment of the OpTic Texas entourage in the watch party with him. “You f**king idiots. Let’s just go and disappear like we’ve got Active Camo for 20 f**king seconds. Just go for a tactical swim while we’re playing on stage for $500,000.” The series between Thieves and Ultra went the distance, but Ultra ultimately won 3-2, sending the LA side down to the Loser’s Bracket to face Seattle Surge and risk being eliminated from the tournament entirely. The water play from Hicksy was huge for wrapping up the map for Toronto Ultra, so it really could have been the difference maker between winning and losing that series — much to Nadeshot’s chagrin.

  • Nadeshot rage smashes headset while playing Call of Duty’s Blackout private beta – Dexerto

Nadeshot rage smashes headset while playing Call of Duty’s Blackout private beta Going into a rage fit while gaming is a lost art, and Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has proven that he’s quite the artist. The 100 Thieves CEO was playing the private beta of CoD’s new Blackout battle royale mode when he was knocked down in-game by an enemy player who had been hiding behind him, who then proceeded to quickly eliminate him thereafter. This sequence of events was too much for Nadeshot to handle, as he succumbed to a wave of anger and violently threw his headset at a wall, causing it to smash. It’s hard to blame Nadeshot for having that sort of reaction; anyone who has played a battle royale game can confirm that getting “full killed” is one of the most frustrating things that can happen. Not only does it not allow teammates the chance to revive the downed player, it also means that he has to spectate from the sidelines while the rest of the match goes on. Eventually, Nadeshot was able to see the humorous side of the situation, as he tweeted about it a short while later. “You know you’re having fun when losing hurts this much.” Despite his frustrations, the former Call of Duty pro player has seemingly found a passion for the game again, as he has been outspokenly positive about the Blackout mode in its early goings. In fact, in the first two days after the mode’s private beta went live on September 10, Nadeshot streamed a total of 30 hours, which is substantially more than he had streamed in a long time.

  • Nadeshot pleads with Treyarch to reduce Black Ops Cold War SBMM – Dexerto

Nadeshot pleads with Treyarch to reduce Black Ops Cold War SBMM Treyarch/YT: NadeshotMatthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, 100 Thieves CEO and ex-Call of Duty pro player, has called on developers Treyarch to reduce levels of skill-based matchmaking in Black Ops Cold War public matches following the game’s November 13th release. Few topics in the last year or so have been as contentious in the Call of Duty community as skill-based matchmaking. Some of the most prominent CoD content creators in the world have criticized Warzone, Modern Warfare and now Black Ops Cold War for their stringent inclusion of SBMM in public matches. SBMM refers to the algorithm a game uses to decide which players are put in your lobbies. Where there is SBMM, a game will try to match you with players who have similar stats, in the hope of fostering a more competitive match. However, some argue this kills casual matches and means higher-skill players are punished for their talents. Nadeshot, with his history as a professional CoD player, clearly falls into the higher-skill players category. As a result, his lobbies tend to feature tough opponents, who closely match his online stats. However, it seems his patience is wearing thin with the mode, just days after BOCW’s global launch. “I truly believe it is imperative that Treyarch dials back the difficulty of lobbies,” he tweeted. “We’re gonna drive so many big creators away, these games have been no joke. I’m dead after playing for 9 hours.” Call of Duty has created a hardcore True Skill system on the back end without any upside for players. I don’t mind playing against people that are similar to me in skill, but at least tell me where I stand in comparison to others globally. Give me a rank that reflects my skill. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) November 15, 2020 He said that he would be happier with a system that, if it does indeed match players with similar skill opponents, shows players their ranks. Many believe SBMM has a place in Ranked modes, but that public matches should remain casual. One of the main defenses of SBMM is that it prevents lower-skill players from being put in lobbies against higher-skill individuals and annihilated. Nade addressed this in a follow-up tweet: “I get how it can benefit new or casual players but I feel as if Call of Duty doesn’t have enough faith in the people playing their game. People are inherently competitive and if they are told that there is a higher ceiling of skill, they’d want to strive to hit that ceiling.” I get how it can benefit new or casual players but I feel as if Call of Duty doesn’t have enough faith in the people playing their game. People are inherently competitive and if they are told that there is a higher ceiling of skill, they’d want to strive to hit that ceiling. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) November 15, 2020 Even if Treyarch reduces levels of SBMM in public matches, we will probably never receive public confirmation. Many video game developers and publishers prefer to keep their matchmaking systems under wraps, so avoid discussing them at all in the public domain.

  • Nadeshot, Ninja and Scump explain why TeePee should return to competitive Call of Duty – Dexerto

Nadeshot, Ninja and Scump explain why TeePee should return to competitive Call of Duty Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins believes that Call of Duty’s new Blackout mode will receive more developer support than any other aspect of Black Ops 4, and that Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow should be competing in it. The Twitch superstar made his feelings clear while playing the Blackout beta with Call of Duty legends TeePee, Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. “I’ll promise you, the battle royale mode is gonna be supported 100% more than any other mode, get in it now,” the Fortnite star stated. “Say you’re in it now, it’s irrelevant what you’re grinding, get in it. Tweet it out, you’re in!” TeePee says “I understand what you’re saying,” while Scump makes it clear that he’ll be “doing it half and half” and “grinding both” Blackout and Black Ops 4. The conversation arose when Nadeshot, Ninja and Scump started advising TeePee to return to competing in Call of Duty because of the current salaries and his level of talent, with Nadeshot saying “these teams do not have enough talent or veterenship to actually play at the highest level. I promise you, you should be playing.” “I’m waiting to see if anything happens with Blackout because I like this shit a lot,” TeePee said in response. Scump supported Nadeshot and Ninja’s opinion that TeePee should pick up a controller again, saying “I’d team with Tyler again” as Nadeshot insisted “you should be playing.” Nadeshot goes on to explain “it’s pure facts man” and insists “you know when I talk about salaries, yeah that’s from a business perspective but from a talent – like I don’t think you should ever stop playing.” Whether Ninja’s predictions about Blackout receiving more support than Black Ops 4 are correct or not, it sounds like TeePee is seriously considering a return to competitive Call of Duty, whatever the mode may be.

  • Nadeshot & Muddawg reveal what they need for LA Thieves 4th player – Dexerto

Nadeshot & Muddawg reveal what they need for LA Thieves 4th player 100 Thieves/Call of Duty LeagueFollowing the announcement that 100 Thieves would be competing in the Call of Duty League once again, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and general manager Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders have discussed what kind of player they’re looking for to complete the squad. [jwplayer 38QHhqzR] The huge reveal of the Los Angeles Thieves was one that many Call of Duty fans saw coming, but still got extremely excited about, especially given the success of their previous tenure in the league. As it stands, LA Thieves have three of their four roster spots occupied by Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams and Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly, as well as a substitute in Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan. Now, they’ve got one spot left to fill — and we might be one step closer to finding out who they’re bringing in. What type of player do LA Thieves want? While discussing the build of their roster in a November 9 YouTube upload, Muddawg and Nade spoke about the above players and just how much they bring to the team, before discussing the criteria they want their final player to fill. “We really want someone with at least the ability to run the aggressive SMG role in case we do need three SMGs to pair with SlasheR,” said Muddawg. “Really, just that versatility, players with experience at the highest level, we want this roster winning right now. Kenny, SlasheR, TJ have all proven it. We need a player who can compliment them and win championships.” Topic starts at 9.55 Who could fit the bill? Obviously, this discussion created a lot of speculation among fans of the team and Call of Duty esports fans in general. One name that was thrown around was that of Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, who featured on the original 100 Thieves roster in Black Ops 4 alongside Kenny and SlasheR, and will be looking to get back into the mixer after a disappointing tenure with Seattle Surge in the first year of the CDL. Other experienced SMGs who are currently available could include the likes of Jonathan ‘John’ Perez, who sat the year out, and some fans even suggested that Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda could be a potential fit. Needless to say, this roster spot will be highly sought after, so the team at LA Thieves will have a lot of options — but who they will finally settle on remains a mystery.

  • Nadeshot makes bold prediction about 100 Thieves CoD despite CWL Vegas disappointment – Dexerto

Nadeshot makes bold prediction about 100 Thieves CoD despite CWL Vegas disappointment MLG/Nadeshot100 Thieves owner and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has made a bold prediction for his Call of Duty team despite admitting that he was disappointed with their performance at CWL Las Vegas. The 100 Thieves squad headed into CWL Las Vegas with plenty of excitement and hype around them. Their roster, which boasts 2018 CoD Champs runners-up Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, Maurice ‘Fero’ Henrique and Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, created a lot of buzz and excitement once it was announced. The additions of former OpTic Gaming player Sam ‘Octane’ Larew and assault rifle star Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat immediately put them in the conversation for being one of the most talented team in Black Ops 4. However, they failed to meet the lofty expectations placed on them by only finishing with a top 12 placement. Nadeshot already shared his thoughts on the team during one of his live streams and preached patience to fans. He added further analysis to his previous statements in the team’s post-Vegas event video ‘Falling short at CWL Las Vegas’ before making a bold claim for their year ahead. “Listen, it’s December. We have a long year ahead of us with this team,” he said in his final speech of the team’s video. “There is such a high ceiling in terms of the talent we have and once we can figure out what we’re doing wrong and start approaching game types and decisions that we make in the right way, I truly believe that we are going to be a top two team on paper and a top two team in this game. “ Nadeshot added that he wants his team and organization to experience the ‘hype Call of Duty moments’ that he has been promising and that there is a long way to go in the Black Ops 4 season. The 100 Thieves players still have plenty of things to figure out in the game, especially after failing in another online tournament. While fans and critics have stated that they may have to make a roster move, there has been no indication from anybody that they will do so. Nadeshot’s team will be back in action at the CWL Pro League qualifier in January where they will have to show that they have made progress if they hope to qualify.

  • Nadeshot left speechless after unfortunate encounter vs Warzone hacker – Dexerto

Nadeshot left speechless after unfortunate encounter vs Warzone hacker Nadeshot YouTube / Infinity Ward100 Thieves CEO and former Call of Duty star Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag let the ultimate payback against a Warzone hacker slip through his fingers, leaving him speechless at the failed attempt. The squad made up of Nadeshot, Tyler ‘Trainwreckstv’ Niknam, Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas, and Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore found the sketchy player just before they were taking off to their next point of interest. It was up to Nade, however, to confirm that the player was indeed a hacker after getting immediately deleted while pushing up to their location. But it was coming back onto the map in the aftermath of his Gulag victory where things got really awkward. “Is that the hacker that killed you guys?” he asked while parachuting down back to the map. With the aerial drop, the 100T founder had a chance to sneak up behind the cheater for a bit of revenge. Landing on a rooftop behind the player, he had a great line-of-sight to at least get some damage off with his pistol, but it probably wouldn’t have been enough to secure the kill against a player who was clearly using an aimbot. Knowing that his only real chance was to sneak up behind and use an Execution finishing move, the former Call of Duty pro instead elected to rush the opponent’s blindside while their attention was squarely focused on the rest of the squad. Unfortunately, the cheats were just too fast and strong from him to handle, as Nade was mere feet away from his target when he caught their attention and gunned him down in an instant. Already crushed that the play had gone terribly wrong, the kill-cam of the other player’s POV was absolutely gut-wrenching to relive. That would be the second time in two games that Nadeshot and his friends have run into a cheater in Warzone, and probably the umpteenth time it’s happened since the game released back in March. Infinity Ward has been trying to crack down on the wave of cheaters in their battle royale. The company implemented two-step SMS authentication for new PC users and while there was an outcry of grief from cheating CoD players due to the security features, there’s still a strong presence of hackers in the game. The devs are still looking for ways to amend this persistent problem and a fix for the issue can’t come soon enough to prevent clips like Nadeshot’s from happening.

  • Nadeshot lashes out at ‘s***-talking’ viewers who say he’s bad at MW3 – Dexerto

Nadeshot lashes out at ‘s***-talking’ viewers who say he’s bad at MW3 NadeshotFormer CoD pro and 100 Thieves founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag lashed out at his viewers after being told he’s bad at MW3. Nadeshot is easily one of the most popular names in Call of Duty. Before retiring from competing in 2015, only to start his own esports organization 100 Thieves a year later, he won numerous CoD championships under OpTic Gaming — and even became a Red Bull athlete. For years, Nadeshot has focused largely on creating content and his own organization 100 Thieves since his retirement. While his competing days are long gone, during a live stream on November 18, Nadeshot couldn’t help but lash out at his fans after they were “bullying” him for a bad performance while playing Modern Warfare 3. Nadeshot slams viewers roasting his MW3 gameplay Hitting back at fans, the former CoD world champion called them “ruthless” before going off and challenging them to win a Call of Duty championship before talking down on him. “Y’all motherf**kers are literally ruthless. Guys I’ve won f**king eight major championships in Call of Duty bro,” he hit out. “So maybe I care a little bit about your sh*t talk because you guys just don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about.” He continued: “I’m getting slammed right now, absolutely I don’t deny that. But motherf**ker let’s see you guys go win a f**king major championship against prime-time Aches, Crimsix, f**king Karma, and TeeP.” “Go try f**king do that and then come f**king talk to me about being a** at Call of Duty,” Nadeshot added. “Alright? You f**king idiots. I’m getting bullied! I’m 31 years old and it’s f**king getting to me. But go try f**king beat that team in prime time like I f**king did. So watch your f**king mouth. Thank you.” It’s fair to say the comments got a bit under Nadeshot’s skin. Regardless, the former CoD champ has definitely proved himself to be an acclaimed veteran of the CoD scene.

  • Nadeshot lashes out at leaked Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Operator skins – Dexerto

Nadeshot lashes out at leaked Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Operator skins ActivisionNadeshot lashed out at the newly leaked Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Operator skins coming into effect with Season 1 Reloaded. As Season 1 of MW3 goes through its opening weeks, it has given players a look into what they can expect in the Season One Reloaded update, and in particular the much-anticipated arrival of Ranked Play. And as players eagerly wait for Ranked’s arrival in the mid-season patch, the community has been given a taste of what MW3’s Ranked Play Operator skins will look like in a new leak. However, it hasn’t exactly impressed everyone. And one of the unimpressed players was 100 Thieves’ CEO Nadeshot, who criticized the Ranked Play skins coming in Season 1. “I wouldn’t wear this Operator skin if they gave it to us for free in the store,” Nadeshot wrote in reaction to the leaked Ranked Play skins. He further explained his feelings towards the skins, “the rational part of my brain is thinking we should be grateful for Ranked Operator skins, but the customization fiend in me wants to condemn these Operators to hell.” “Tough call but I think I’m gonna just keep complaining,” Nadeshot said sarcastically. A commenter pointed out the Ranked Play skins are technically free to get, to which Nade responded, “fair f***ing point, Frank. You win this one.” However, much of the community’s response to the incoming Ranked Operator skins mirrored Nade’s ambivalent response. “I speak for everyone when I say we will not be wearing these awful skins,” a commenter wrote on Breaking Point’s tweet on the leaked skins. “They look like the Thumbs from Spy Kids,” another commented jokingly about the Operator skins’ appearance.

  • Nadeshot Apparently Knows Nothing About the Career of New 100 Thieves CoD Pro ‘Kenny’ – Dexerto

Nadeshot Apparently Knows Nothing About the Career of New 100 Thieves CoD Pro ‘Kenny’ Although he has undoubtedly been hard at work assembling 100 Thieves’ new Call of Duty team, founder and CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag might want to put in more time in learning more about his players’ careers. The acquisition of former Team Kaliber standout Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams has been applauded by many in the community, but as it turns out, Nadeshot knows very little about the player’s career other than that he had an outstanding WWII season. This became apparent when Nadeshot joined in on a Twitter conversation and asking about how long Kenny has actually been involved in competitive CoD. OpTic Hitch Announces Call of Duty: Ghosts Throwback Invitational Featuring KiLLa, MBoZe, and MoreWhile this was all some good-natured ribbing, Nadeshot and and his CoD team will likely be a lot more serious once the Black Ops 4 competitive season rolls around. After a brief and unsuccessful stint in 2016, 100 Thieves will look to re-enter the scene with a bang, as evident by their recent acquisitions of Kenny and Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez.

  • Nadeshot, Jkap & Muddawg explain why LA Thieves benched Huke – Dexerto

Nadeshot, Jkap & Muddawg explain why LA Thieves benched Huke LA ThievesLA Thieves’ acquisition of Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland — and subsequently benching him after just a couple of weeks — was one of the biggest stories of the 2021 CDL season. Now, the coaches and top management have explained what went down. While Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag doesn’t have much control over the day-to-day running of LA Thieves as CEO, as a legend of Call of Duty himself he’s clearly very invested in the scene. Instead, the decision-makers in the team are Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanderson and two-time CoD world champion Jordan ‘Jkap’ Kaplan. They integrated Huke into the team, replacing Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly on the starting roster, and at the end of Stage 3, he was quickly shifted back out of the team. Obviously, many fans were perplexed. Bringing Huke over from Dallas Empire can’t have been a cheap venture and, given how much the team hyped him up, they were expected to try and make him work no matter what. So, ahead of their opening match of Stage 4, the team appeared on the LA Thieves Pre-Show and explained the decision. “The short story here is it just wasn’t a good fit,” Jkap explained. “Just watching the game, it looked way more difficult on all the players. His playstyle is very individual-based, and I don’t think it’s a conscious decision on his end, but it’s something we had an issue with and it wasn’t really getting better.” Timestamp 4:34 Muddawg also explained his thoughts on the matter, saying that Jkap’s thoughts made it “sound a little worse than it was.” He said: “To change a playstyle can be a difficult thing to do, but when someone’s instinct is to play the game a certain way, it can be tough to change… I think there was just a lack of cohesiveness in the playstyles the two groups had.” Nade agreed, adding that Huke is a generational talent but typically he believes if something isn’t working in the first week or two, it’s never going to work. They don’t rule out the possibility of Huke coming back in the future, Nadeshot saying that Muddawg and Jkap will continue working with him, but what it means for his role within the team looks a little bleak.

  • Nadeshot on inspiration behind custom 100 Thieves Nike Air Max 1’s – Dexerto

Nadeshot on inspiration behind custom 100 Thieves Nike Air Max 1’s 100 Thieves – YouTube/TwitterProfessional esports organization 100 Thieves have received custom-made Air Force 1 shoes from Nike, and CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag has opened up about the meaning behind the project. On August 16, 100 Thieves debuted their brand new custom Nike Air Force 1’s, produced specifically for them by Nike’s Bespoke program. The iconic sneaker features a red and white color scheme, along with the 100 Thieves logos embroidered on the back of the shoe and the inside of the sole. On top of the show, at the very front of the laces, there are also two golden connectors. The left sneaker’s connector reads ‘LDN 19,’ and right one ‘LA 19,’ in commemoration of their professional Call of Duty team’s victories at the CWL events in London and Anaheim. “Earlier this year, we had the honor of participating in the Nike Bespoke program to create 100 Thieves Air Max 1s,” 100T tweeted. “Exclusive to 21 Mercer, Nike Bespoke is the pinnacle customization program to Nike footwear. Thank you Nike for having us.” Custom 100 Thieves Air Max 1s, created via the @Nike Bespoke program exclusive to 21 Mercer. pic.twitter.com/IV4jhYyZTN — 100 Thieves (@100Thieves) August 16, 2019 The sneakers were designed by Nadeshot himself through Nike’s program, and as part of the reveal, he appeared in a video put out by 100 Thieves giving some insight on what inspired him to go through with this project. If what was written on the connectors didn’t give it away already, the shoes were designed and made in honor of the Call of Duty team, who delivered 100T their first ever two major championship trophies since becoming a fully-fledged esports organization back in early 2018. Read More: FormaL explains Nadeshot’s OpTic split – “They have done a phenomenal job this part year representing 100 Thieves as an organization,” he said. “So we’re going to present them with their own custom Air Max 1.” Each pair also included the name of the player who received them, making the shoes that much more personalized. “I feel like you guys’ story specifically is been so unique to everything that’s been done in esports this past year. You guys were all brought together about a quarter way through the season. Nobody thought you guys were going to win. In a drop of a dime, you guys turned into a championship caliber team.” 100 Thieves are currently in bracket play of the $2 million CWL Championship 2019, the final tournament that will decide the kings of this year’s Call of Duty esports season. If the players received custom Nike Air Force Max 1s for winning mid-season events, one can only imagine what they’ll get from Nadeshot if they manage to win the biggest tournament of the year.

  • Nadeshot hits out at competitive Call of Duty fans after 100 Thieves turnaround – Dexerto

Nadeshot hits out at competitive Call of Duty fans after 100 Thieves turnaround 100 ThievesFormer professional player Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has addressed the hate towards 100 Thieves Call of Duty team, particularly from fans, during an LCS academy stream. 100 Thieves CoD have bounced back after a rough start in week 3 of the CoD World League, which began by dropping series to eUnited and Splyce in the first set of Division B matches. With a 4-0 week and a win over the previously undefeated Heretics squad, 100 Thieves now find themselves on top of division B and as one of the favorite teams heading into CWL Fort Worth. During the broadcast of their LCS academy team’s match vs TSM, Nadeshot and co-founding member of 100 Thieves, Jackson Dahl, took the chance to address the lack of love for the 100 Thieves Call of Duty team’s recent success. Nadeshot was surprised to see that there had been zero posts regarding 100 Thieves dominant week 4 on the Call of Duty competitive subreddit when the team finished with five wins to 2 only losses in the standings. “100 Thieves just finished first place, won four games in a row,” Nadeshot said, during a break in the action, “I didn’t see one thread posted about us, maybe 4 comments in the daily discussion.” He followed up by claiming that there is a general bias within the competitive community: “CoD competitive, you guys have a clear and obvious bias and your hive mind is toxic.” A little later in the stream, Nadeshot embraced the lack of support shown by fans declaring that 100 Thieves can be the villains for the year. 100 Thieves will be looking to prove a point leading into the next event, CWL Fort Worth, which begins on March 15. They have been placed in Pool B, along with Red Reserve, Enigma6 and Evil Geniuses. Although there are no easy pools, 100 Thieves will be expected to make it out at least top two, based on recent performances.

  • Nadeshot hits back at calls for JKap to be fired as LA Thieves CDL coach – Dexerto

Nadeshot hits back at calls for JKap to be fired as LA Thieves CDL coach LA Thieves100 Thieves CEO has responded to calls from critics to remove Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan from his head coach role with Call of Duty League franchise LA Thieves. LA Thieves had a horrible run of Major 2 qualifier matches, going 0-5 to enter the Major LAN as the lowest-seeded team in attendance. While conversations are had around the community as to why the CDL side is struggling so much, and how they can fix it, one idea that has commonly been bandied about is removing JKap from his head coaching role. While this has been suggested alongside all manner of possible starting roster changes, Nade has spoken out against people saying JKap should be fired. During a Twitch stream following LA Thieves’ final qualifier match, Nadeshot spoke out about their issues. He said: “If it came down to it, and all four players came to Muddawg [general manager] and said ‘Hey, we don’t want this guy in this room with us anymore. We don’t think he can get us where we need to go.’ We’re gonna move on. “But this mentality on the CoD Competitive subreddit that we’re only keeping JKap around because I’m friends with him is f**king bulls**t. We’re keeping JKap around because he is an incredible coach, was wildly successful in his career, and there is nobody at the caliber of which he approaches the game besides other coaches like Rambo and Crowder.” It’s clear that Nadeshot still rates JKap highly as a coach, and the players apparently haven’t made any complaints about him, so we shouldn’t expect to see the two-time world champion moved on any time soon. Nadeshot did say, however, that the team has discussed the possibility of bringing in a coach for Search and Destroy, with Nade himself admitting that “JKap wasn’t the best Search and Destroy player himself.” The team has had troubles in S&D, but is this the key to bringing the glory the organization is calling for?

  • Nadeshot Hints at Which Pro Player He Wants Running the 100 Thieves CoD Team – Dexerto

Nadeshot Hints at Which Pro Player He Wants Running the 100 Thieves CoD Team 100 Thieves owner, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, has made no secret about his desire for his organization to get involved with Call of Duty. The former CoD champion started out his esports career on the title back in 2009 and retired in 2015 following OpTic Gaming’s 7th place finish at the Advanced Warfare world championships. After leaving to pursue his YouTube and streaming career, he stepped back into the competitive gaming business with 100 Thieves during the Black Ops 3 season. That project only lasted one Stage of the CWL Pro League before it was abandoned, but in late 2017 the 100T name returned with a bang, securing a spot in the NA LCS with the backing of the Cleveland Cavaliers. It’s widely known that prior to the NA LCS deal going through that Nadeshot was set to make a competitive return for Call of Duty WWII, with a lineup that featured a number of up and coming players. Nadeshot has now confirmed that one of those players, Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez, holds the key to the organization returning to the scene. You’re gonna have to ask @f3rocitys to take you back, he’s got the keys to the 100T castle. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) July 30, 2018 Fero rose to prominence during the WWII season and eventually secured his first title win when Team Kaliber won the CWL Pro League Stage 2 finals on Sunday, July 29. There have been a number of public disputes between the players and the tK organization prior to the win, including Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams claiming they are paid a lower salary than other CWL teams. Could this latest development indicate that the side will leave for 100 Thieves when Black Ops 4 is released in October?
