MW3 players furious as game is “garbage” after Season 2 update Call of DutyModern Warfare 3 players are furious with the current state of the game, claiming it’s “garbage” after the Season 2 update. MW3’s long-awaited Season 2 update was a bit of a relief for players, bringing some massive changes and tons of additions to the popular first-person shooter. The update introduced several new 6v6 maps — Stash House, Departures, and Vista — all of which have been fairly well received by the community. However, players are furious with the overall current state of the game following the Season 2 patch. MW3 players slam game as “garbage” after Season 2 update In a Reddit post on February 12, one MW3 player lashed out with their frustrations, explaining the game feels like “sh*t” after Season 2’s release. “I cannot figure out why the game feels like absolute dog sh*t after the update, connection issues aside I’m talking about just general movement and gameplay,” they wrote. “Running and movement feels so sluggish, I’m constantly getting stutter step like my tac sprint is getting interrupted mid-sprint, which gets me killed,” the player explained. “My aim just randomly gets stuck on nothing, as if there was someone in front of me and my aim assist is slowing on them but no one is actually there.” They added: “Worst of all is this f**king delay I get when switching to a sidearm. Any time I switch to a pistol and try to shoot there is a huge delay before my gun actually shoots.” Despite the issues, the players explained they were still enjoying the game. But, others are also experiencing the same problems. “I have noticed it plays like shit and so has my group that I play with. We usually win about 80 percent of our games when we are partied up but have been losing damn near every game since,” one player wrote in the replies. “I feel like I just can’t kill anyone all of a sudden.” As many more explained, their slide settings were somehow changed in the Season 2 update, adding to their frustrations. But, with movement and various weapons being hit with nerfs in the patch, it’s a given that players are feeling the differences.

MW3 players furious as game has become filled with ads – Dexerto
MW3 players furious as game has become filled with ads ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are furious with the devs, claiming the game has become filled with ads. In-game cosmetics have become a huge focus for Call of Duty, with each update releasing more and more weapon skins and operators. While some don’t mind grinding or even paying money to unlock the various cosmetics, it’s certainly become a controversial topic in the community. Recently, players have lashed out at the devs for releasing “silly skins” instead of more realistic-looking ones. And not only that, some have even accused them of using AI to help generate new cosmetics. Nevertheless, players are furious once again, this time taking issue with the game being filled with ads. MW3 players claim game has become an “ad” In a Reddit thread on February 27, one MW3 player kicked off a discussion explaining how it feels some new cosmetics are just an in-game advertisement. “This is… literally just an ad for the new show. Why would I ever want this on my gun?” they wrote, referring to the ‘The Ones Who Live’ decal in The Walking Dead Michonne operator bundle. Since MW3’s release we’ve had a ton of crossovers hit the first-person shooter, such as The Boys and more recently, The Walking Dead. And while some players don’t have any issues, many are frustrated, to say the least. “That’s all CoD is now. One huge ad,” one player wrote. “Buddy, all these stupid events and skins that don’t fit the CoD universe are ads. Always have been ads,” another replied. Regardless, it’s clear CoD shows no signs of slowing down any time soon, with data miners revealing a potential collaboration with Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K is in the works.

MW3 players frustrated by “bots” ruining Ranked Play – Dexerto
MW3 players frustrated by “bots” ruining Ranked Play ActivisionThe MW3 community is frustrated that AI bots have already flooded the new Ranked Play, and want the devs to do something. The MW3 playerbase has been theorizing that bots were being put in game lobbies by the developers for awhile as a way to help boost player stats. With the recent release of the game’s Ranked Play, players were looking forward to a more straightforward, competitive playlist without bots. Unfortunately, the fans believe that bots have made their way to the new competitive scene, and they’re not happy about it. MW3 players upset by “bots” flooding into Ranked Play In a post to the MW3 subreddit, a player posted a clip with the title: “This an actual bot on my team in a ranked game. How is this allowed?” The clip itself shows them following another character in a ranked match. The patterns and behavior of the character are robotic, and don’t look anything like that of a real person playing. While the original poster claims it to be a bot, others are quick to point out that this is not the usual behavior of an MW3 bot in the game: “There is absolutely no way this is an AI bot. Play a private match with bots, they don’t behave anything like this.” Instead, the community is suggesting that this is an example of someone using an AFK script, which keeps their character moving so that the game doesn’t kick them as they’re away from the game. Not quite a bot in the traditional sense, but still not a real player either. This is largely done to farm XP for the battle pass or level farming, as completing matches helps with that progress. But even with this explanation, the players aren’t happy to see it in the game: “Doesn’t matter. Matchmaking is screwed if you’re getting matched with someone who’s afking and throwing matches. That’s a 3v4 and not at all fair.” It’s clear that the MW3 fanbase wants the devs to do something about this, and it is yet to be seen if anything will be done at all.

MW3 players frustrated as fan-favorite weapon is totally “unusable” – Dexerto
MW3 players frustrated as fan-favorite weapon is totally “unusable” ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have been left frustrated as a longtime fan-favorite weapon has been “unusable” in multiplayer amid a recent round of changes. When Modern Warfare 3 was first announced, plenty of longtime Call of Duty fans were excited about the nostalgia rush that it would bring. You’ve got Makarov, Captain Price, all the classic maps from the original Modern Warfare 2, and a fair few weapons as well. Since the game has been out, the nostalgia has continued, and fans have been praising it as one of the best installments of the CoD franchise for a few years. However, it hasn’t been totally plain sailing as players have been annoyed by armory unlocks, modes being removed, and, among other things, the wait for the Warzone integration. On top of that, they’ve also been left frustrated by some “unusable” weapons in multiplayer – especially one that has been around CoD for years. MW3 players annoyed that MW2 weapons are “unusable” right now Right now, the most “unusable” weapon that players have struggled with is the Crossbow. Many believe it is significantly underpowered compared to how it used to be, and is far too slow these days as well. “I would use the Crossbow all the time in MW2 was extremely consistent one shots and now in MW3 can’t get them to save my life,” said one player, who showed off a video of them struggling to even get two hit kills with it. “MW3 HP is 150 and all MW2 guns are built around 100 hp so they didn’t balance any of the old guns to do accurate amounts of damage for the larger health pool. It’s not the guns themselves it’s just the devs’ laziness,” added one. “They clearly didn’t even touch most of the MWII weapons before launch, just imported them as is,” another said. Though, the complaints extend beyond the Crossbow too. “This isn’t just the crossbow. Many of the marksman rifles in MW2 are borderline useless. You might as well use an airsoft gun,” another player commented. It remains to be seen if weapons from MW2, like the Crossbow, will be buffed when the devs start dishing out some changes. It’s clearly something fans want, but it could be tricky.

MW3 players flame devs for fixing “pay to win” skins instead of just removing them – Dexerto
MW3 players flame devs for fixing “pay to win” skins instead of just removing them ActivisionMW3 community members criticized the decision to fix two operator skins instead of removing them forever. In Modern Warfare 2 Season 6, Gaia got a Groot-like tree skin for the game’s Halloween event. A segment of the player base labeled the skin as “pay-to-win” because the bottom half of the body isn’t as visible as the top half. Community members compared the “broken” bundle to the infamous Roze and 100 Thieves skins that also suffered from poor visibility. Some hoped that they would be able to avoid the skin in Modern Warfare 3, but the Carry Forward program makes it so the Gaia skin is useable in the new title. It didn’t take long for MW3 community members to claim that the Gaia skin is “way worse” and makes enemies “literally invisible.” Sledgehammer Games finally responded to complaints but didn’t deliver universally accepted news. MW3 players slam response to Gaia skin complaints Sledgehammer Games announced as part of a Q&A session with fans: “Adjustments to Gaia and Gaia Blackcell Operator Skins are in the pipeline for Modern Warfare III. In a future game update, we’ll disable this item until said changes can be released to all players.” CharlieIntel shared the announcement, and community members sounded off in the comment section. One player responded: “Just get rid of that skin.” Meanwhile, a second user added: “Good. A simple fix is just to make the back half of the skin solid, though. Been saying it since it released.” Or a third community member suggested: “They should really keep it removed permanently and just no longer advertise it as carry-over.” What precisely the devs have up their sleeves to improve the operator’s skin’s visibility remains to be seen. Additionally, no date was provided for when the skin will be temporarily removed. For more, check out the rest of our MW3 coverage.

MW3 players feel the campaign is just “Warzone with cutscenes” – Dexerto
MW3 players feel the campaign is just “Warzone with cutscenes” ActivisionMW3 players are getting their hands on the early access campaign, and their initial reactions are less than stellar. Modern Warfare 2019 faced a tall task when it arrived, as it had to follow in the footsteps of the legendary trio of titles that made Call of Duty what it is today. While its landing left much to be desired amongst the multiplayer community, fan sentiment was high on the campaign. It reintroduced many of the Modern Warfare trilogy’s most iconic characters in a new light and set MW3 up for massive stakes. Now that players are getting their hands on the campaign via early access, it seems the hype has all but died out, with initial reactions less than pleased. MW3 early access players react to the campaign With MW3, Sledgehammer Games aimed for something a bit different with its campaign offering. This entry introduces “Open Combat Missions” which are missions that provide players with immense freedom on how they want to complete their objective. However, after getting their hands on it, it seems some players aren’t fans of MW3’s approach to its campaign. Initial reactions have flooded the MW3 Reddit, where one player stated: “This campaign is basically Warzone with cutscenes.” They went on to elaborate: “The first mission starts off as your usual Cod campaign, something feels off though, the missions after that have been awful, this game just screams that it was thrown together at last minute just so they could charge full price.” One ire that has originated since Warzone’s arrival back in 2020 has been the fact the developers have tried to tie it into the core CoD experience. For example, Modern Warfare II’s narrative expanded with every new season of content. If you don’t play Warzone, you’ll miss out on some lore before the next title. MW3 takes the Warzone tie-in a step further, with the Open Combat Missions playing out just like a match of Warzone, as one player reflected. On the other hand, plenty of fans shared praise for the campaign’s unique approach to the linear formula the series has embraced. The good news is there’s only a handful of these missions, so it does eventually go back to its linear roots.

MW3 players fed up with “fundamentally broken” spawns – Dexerto
MW3 players fed up with “fundamentally broken” spawns MW3 players are letting Activision have it over the spawn system in the game, which they see as being utterly broken. Despite the multiplayer mode being well-received by fans, MW3 has been dealing with its fair share of issues. Fans of the game have been quite vocal about asking for things to be changed, like gun balancing, game modes, and more. Now, some fans have had it with Modern Warfare 3’s spawn system, taking to social media to vent their frustrations. MW3 players are blasting devs over broken spawns Over on the MW3 subreddit, a player posted about the issues they’re having with the game, calling the spawns “fundamentally broken.” Specifically, they are referring to spawns in the Hardpoint game mode, saying: “It’s funny, because before season 1, I made a post about the same issue, and I can literally just copy-past the text because it still holds true.” As they mention, this is an issue that the game – and the fans – have been struggling with since MW3 first launched. The responses in the comments haven’t been any kinder, with one user saying, “That’s what happens when the game is made by morons. You can’t use algorithms to do everything when you don’t understand the algorithms.” While this post is just referring to Hardpoint, the spawn system has been criticized across the board for just about every game mode. It’s become such a hot-button issue that Sledgehammer Games had to make a post to address it. Given the track record of spawn-related troubles in every Call of Duty game, players don’t seem to be too hopeful that MW3 can prove to be any different.

MW3 players fed up with being penalized for “piss poor” server disconnections – Dexerto
MW3 players fed up with being penalized for “piss poor” server disconnections ActivisionMW3 players are frustrated after being disconnected from Ranked Play due to the servers going down. With the release of Ranked Play in MW3’s recent Season 1 Reloaded update, many players were looking forward to a game mode where the stakes were higher. In Ranked Play, they are punished for poor performance and penalized for quitting a match early to encourage everyone sticking it out. However, the game seems to be suffering some connectivity issues, resulting in players being forced out of matches, and the fans are not happy about the penalties. MW3 players are upset with forced disconnection penalties The conversation began over on the MW3 subreddit, where a fan laid out why they are so unhappy with Ranked Play. They say that while they’ve had some fun with the mode, they’ve repeatedly been kicked out of games for “no reason.” “This has happened three times and just now the whole menu froze and I get more SR loss for inactivity.” This player is not the only one experiencing problems like this either, as plenty of others in MW3 are coming forward to share their own stories about being penalized for doing nothing wrong. One user didn’t hold back in their feelings about it: “Penalizing people for piss poor servers and game crashes is enough to make me want to delete this.” Another person mentioned that they hit the cancel button right before joining a match when they were given the option, and the game still gave them a penalty for leaving a match early. “We all got hit with a suspension for ‘leaving a match’ and we lost SR as well. We never even left the lobby screen and there was no warning about a penalty…” These issues, while annoying, wouldn’t be as frustrating if they weren’t happening during Ranked Play, where the players are losing quite a bit when they are dropped from a game. As of now, there has been no official word on if this is being looked at by the MW3 devs, but with so many players mentioning it, they are surely aware of the problem.

MW3 players fear Godzilla x Kong cosmetic opens door for pay-to-win weapons – Dexerto
MW3 players fear Godzilla x Kong cosmetic opens door for pay-to-win weapons ActivisionThe MW3 community fears that the new B.E.A.S.T. Glove cosmetic from the Godzilla x Kong collaboration is a sign of pay-to-win coming to the game in the future. As part of the game’s event with Godzilla x Kong, MW3 has released a new B.E.A.S.T. Glove melee variant that players can unlock through purchasing four other bundles for a total of $80. This has players worried as locking a unique weapon like the glove behind a paywall could be testing the waters for what can be released for purchasing. Fans fear that Sledgehammer could be trying to move back to their monetization model from Advanced Warfare, which included plenty of pay-to-win weapons that could only be unlocked using real money. These fears can be seen on the MW3 subreddit, where a player posted about the glove, criticizing its $80 price point. The rest of the community is rolling their eyes as well, with one user commenting: “I suppose their monetization team has found that there’s enough whales in call of duty who will buy every IP bundle possible.” Another person jokes, “When microtransactions go MACRO.” Others are pointing out that the total price needed to get the B.E.A.S.T. Glove is more than it costs for the game itself, or the upcoming CoD game that releases in a few months. However, it the concern goes beyond just the amount they have to pay; many players are worried about what this means for future content and the game becoming pay-to-win. “… It starts like this then they start adding little benefits like maybe the melee weapon is faster or something, I have no doubt if Activision could they would go right back to how AW was and do pay-to-win bundles in a heart beat.” This references how in Advanced Warfare, weapons such as the Sobsidian Steel BAL-27, Silver Bullet MORS, and more fan-favorite weapons could be found in paid lootboxes. Some MW3 fans fear the game is heading the wrong direction when it comes to cosmetics and microtransactions.

MW3 players “down bad” over Firecracker skin – Dexerto
MW3 players “down bad” over Firecracker skin ActivisionMW3 players are not doing well after the release of the new Firecracker skin, based on the character from Amazon’s The Boys series. The Boys came to MW3 as part of the release of the game’s Season 1 Reloaded update, and brought a couple of skins from the show, as well. One of these character skins is Firecracker, a character set to come to the show in the fourth season. The fans are having an… interesting reaction to this skin, to say the least, with the thirst reaching all-time highs. MW3 players “wild” over Firecracker skin The conversation is happening over on the MW3 subreddit, in a post showing genuine shock over Firecracker’s character model. The post shares a couple of images of the skin to prove their point, and the community is certainly having fun with the post. “I can smell everyone in this thread,” one of the top comments reads. Others are pointing out that the skin comes with jiggle physics, that makes the entire situation even more hilarious: “The jiggle physics on her model are legit ludicrous… There’s no way this was intended to ship like this.” MW3 fans are convinced that Activision knows what they’re doing, with one user pointing out: “Activi$ion knows it’s target demographic well. This one skin will sell more than all the others combined to date, lol.” Some people are a little less enthused with the giggling over the skin’s looks, as one player bluntly tells them to “get help.” The MW3 skin is sure to sell well, largely in part to the popularity of The Boys. But maybe these fans have a point too.

MW3 players divided over skins for killstreaks and equipment – Dexerto
MW3 players divided over skins for killstreaks and equipment ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have been left divided now that killstreaks and equipment are getting more skins of their own, with some supportive fans mocking up designs they’d like to see. Over the last few years, Call of Duty has dove all the way in when it comes to selling skins, cosmetics, and other items through the in-game CoD Store. It’s a far cry from the days of the devs just adding cosmetics items every few months, as new things are added on a daily basis. The focus on selling skins has annoyed plenty of players, with some urging the devs to stop focusing on skins and fixing issues in-game such as the servers and some overpowered weapons. However, the devs aren’t slowing down. Instead, they’re now adding even more skins for killstreaks and equipment, as players can start customizing things like Thermite Grenades, the Wheelson, and Deployable Cover. MW3 players split over new skins for killstreaks & equipment Some players are, naturally, annoyed by that fact, calling out the devs for adding such cosmetics. “I like the idea of having customized streaks like: “Wow look that helo!” but I don’t like the fact that you have to play a FULL BUNDLE that costs like 30€,” said one. ”I don’t want the flashy stuff, I just want a game that’s stable and consistent in performance,” another added. “Never bought a single bundle. Not starting now. Fix your game,” said another. “Only using UAV, Advanced UAV, and Swarm so couldn’t care less for streaks. For Equipment it’s nice to have but nothing I would pay for,” another commented. “I wouldn’t mind if it actually was good, not this crap,” another chimed in. Others, however, have started mocking up skins they’d like to see added. That includes Redditor Voodoo-Hendrix, who came up with their own idea for a skin for the Juggernaut. “Don’t give them any ideas,” one fan said, while others chimed in with ideas for crossovers that would work for a Juggernaut skin, including the power armor from Fallout. It’s unlikely that the devs or Activsion will listen to any fan calls to stop selling skins, but it’s an ongoing pain point for players.

MW3 players divided over “recycled calling card art” in Jet bundle – Dexerto
MW3 players divided over “recycled calling card art” in Jet bundle ActivisionMW3’s Augmented Human bundle features a new loading screen, although fans are noticing it’s a calling card from MW2 now in a purchasable bundle. In recent years, Call of Duty has noticeably revamped its in-game cosmetics. Head over to the in-game shop, and numerous bundles provide players with new ways to dominate the battlefield, with players shining bright in their Nicki Minaj skin or skulking around with their giant reindeer-headed character. Compared to what CoD was in the past, this evolution has led to growing division. Some players feel it’s not realistic enough, while others feel it’s a video game, so realism doesn’t matter. However, the shop itself seems to be providing another problem and that’s claims of recycled content from previous iterations. MW3 Jet bundle features calling card from MW2 MW3‘s in-game store features a bundle called Augmented Human. For 2400 COD Points, players get the Vex Operator skin, two weapon blueprints with tracer, and a few cosmetics such as charms and loading screens. The problem with the bundle, as noted by MW3 player YungIkeSly, is the loading screen in the bundle is a calling card from last year’s MW2. Many players pointed out they didn’t have an issue with this. “Who tf cares about a loading screen,” one player said, while another replied this isn’t a new trend: “They’ve done that a few times before, with even the same loading screens, just a different background.” Yet the underlying issue that hasn’t been addressed is it was a free unlock in MW2. Players only had to get 100 melee kills, and they earned the card, no money or points attached. With MW3’s Season 2 right around the corner, we’ll see if the item shop strays away or follows this precedent moving forward.

MW3 players divided over “obnoxious” death effect animations – Dexerto
MW3 players divided over “obnoxious” death effect animations ActivisionMW3’s cosmetics push sees a new wave of death effects implemented. However, some of them have left the community annoyed, with fans lobbying for changes to how they work. Call of Duty‘s in-game shop has changed over the years, getting much more zanier with crossover skins with well-known brands and celebrities. This evolution ties into the weapon design as well as purchased weapon bundles come with tracer rounds and death effects to flex on your enemies, such as causing dismemberment in a blaze of colors. As recent bundles have introduced wackier death effects, player sentiment is turning towards displeasure, with many hoping changes are coming to tone down these effects. MW3 players split on death effect animations In a post shared to the MW3 subreddit, one player shared frustration with the Sketched Out bundle’s death effect animation. When defeating an enemy, a giant comic book text blurb appears, matching the essence of the comic-themed operator. This bundle’s been a topic of ire for the player base since it was released, and with its finisher, it seems players are frustrated for a myriad of reasons. “I’ll take any skin over this death effect, you can hear it across the map ffs. All death effects get annoying but this is by far the worst,” one player ripped into the skin. Others ripped into the finisher’s visual appearance and how it blocks the screen when killing an opponent. Of course, this finisher wasn’t the only one, as plenty of players stated finishers in general bother them. A few players lobbied for a feature to turn off finishers, or at least disable them for themselves. However, many replied they don’t see a feature like that happening any time soon. Not to mention, a few of the replies mentioned how they enjoy this death effect’s unique design. Time will continue to see newer death effects added to MW3 and future entries. Their implementation will most likely continue to split the player base up, so hopefully the developers can come to a middle ground to please both sides.

MW3 players divided over major Knife nerf in Ranked Play – Dexerto
MW3 players divided over major Knife nerf in Ranked Play ActivisionKnives have slipped into the cracks of MW3’s Ranked Play, but rather than remove them, the developers have opted to nerf them instead. As with any CoD title, MW3‘s been at the certain of various criticism since its launch back in November. Many of the criticisms have been fair, such as spawn logic, while others have been divisive, such as the gun cocking animation. In all fairness, the developers have been proactive in adjusting criticisms as they arrive. Spawns will never be perfect, but new patches introduce potential fixes, and a surprise update removed the gun cocking animation from smaller map playlists. However, the Knife melee is a hot topic of discussion, now more than ever, with the arrival of Ranked Play. MW3 players discuss Knife nerf in Ranked Play Ranked Play is CoD’s competitive mode, providing players a chance to play with the ruleset, map pool, and regulations of the Call of Duty League. Part of the ruleset and regulations includes mirroring what the pros use in-game, although, in MW3, the Knife isn’t banned from play like it is in the CDL. This omission left players upset since the Knife is controversial in its own ways, mostly because of its one-hit-kill nature and the speed boost it provides. Rather than remove it from Ranked Play entirely, Treyarch opted to nerf its one-hit potential, meaning it now requires two hits to kill someone. Initial reaction have been somewhat mixed, with players applauding how quickly Treyarch took action on the changes. They feel as if this nerf is a healthy compromise: “I like the change. Keeps that fast movement option, but someone with snappy aim can still take you down between swings,” claimed one player. Others feel as if the knife is now purely good for the bonus movement speed, acting in a similar fashion to something like Counter-Strike’s knife. That said, with Ranked Play supposed to mirror the CDL, some fans would’ve preferred the developers ban it altogether or just apply this nerf to every level of play rather than just ranked. Given Ranked Play has just arrived, it’s safe to say expect more changes to come through as seasons progress.

MW3 players divided on whether OP gun needs to be nerfed “ASAP” – Dexerto
MW3 players divided on whether OP gun needs to be nerfed “ASAP” ActivisionMW3 players are in a heated debate on whether or not a controversial gun needs to be nerfed or kept as it is. MW3 is no stranger to fans asking for changes, whether it be to weapons or a more concentrated effort to crackdown on cheaters. Unfortunately, these cases are never cut and dry, as some fans think it’s better to just go with the flow instead of complaining about fixes that may never come. Such is the case with a new debate that is raging online as two sides argue whether or not a specific gun needs to be nerfed immediately. MW3 players are debating about a gun needing to be nerfed ASAP The debate is currently going on over at the MW3 subreddit, where a post was made to call out the power behind the BAS-B, a battle rifle that is popular among the most competitive of players. The post in question came with a long statement that explains the gun as “…way too strong plus the attachment pool for it makes it have zero recoil in the right hands. Needs nerfed ASAP.” Many other players agreed with this sentiment, with one user saying, “[Bas-B] needs a nerf. Thing is the best SMG, AR, Battle rifle and sniper in the game.” It’s clear the gun is proving to be incredibly powerful with the right attachments, to the point of dominating the game’s meta. However, other fans of MW3 are defending the gun, saying it doesn’t make sense to push back and complain about the weapon instead of just using it like everyone else. “Sure it needs nerfed but this is a bad take. Why wouldn’t people use it to stay competitive instead of complaining on Reddit?” Another player was a little less tactful in their response: “If one single gun ruins your game, you’re just bad.” There will always be arguments about the most popular or powerful guns in MW3, and this is just one example of many that will surely come.

MW3 players divided as devs confirm Kar98k nerfs are coming – Dexerto
MW3 players divided as devs confirm Kar98k nerfs are coming ActivisionSledgehammer Games confirmed a balance adjustment will come to the Kar98k marksman rifle, likely packaged with MW3’s Season 4 Reloaded update according to the devs. Season 4 of MW3 and Warzone brought a lot of new features to the game, but none were as hyped as the return of the Kar98k, the notorious rifle that dominated the early era of Warzone. Yet, as quickly as it arrived, it was deemed an absolute menace. Warzone players have blasted the rifle and its ability to make the game “miserable,” while MW3’s Reddit channels are full of complaints about the weapon. MW3’s developer, Sledgehammer Games, is a frequenter of said title’s forums. In response to one player’s claim that the Ka98k is the best weapon in the game, Sledgehammer confirmed a nerf would be coming through. “Kar98k balance adjustments are incoming, and we are currently targeting the Season 4 Reloaded update.” stated the developers. Sledgehammer didn’t exactly reveal what the plans for the nerf would be, or if it will hit both Warzone and MW3’s multiplayer modes. Regardless, fans started brainstorming what they thought would be the best way to adjust the weapon, with a popular train of thought to tune the Kar98k’s ADS. “Imo it just needs the ADS nerfed a little bit. I can live with the damage.” one player replied. On the other hand, many were upset by the confirmation of a nerf. Amongst the sea of “borings” and general disappointment, one fan shared: “They always hear the ‘nerf it’ feedback. They never hear the ‘This is the most fun I’ve had in the game in years, this literally brought some of my friends back to the game, leave it the hell alone’ feedback.” Provided the timeline doesn’t shift, MW3’s Season 4 Reloaded will arrive on June 26, and we’ll keep you updated on what changes unfold.

MW3 players discover strategy that makes Infectious Holiday impossible to win – Dexerto
MW3 players discover strategy that makes Infectious Holiday impossible to win RedditMW3 players have discovered a new strategy in the game’s limited time Infectious Holiday mode that is making it real difficult to beat. The recent holiday event for the game brought a lot of fun game modes to jump into, including an old favorite: Infection. This version of Infection, called Infectious Holiday, sees one player trying to kill and infect the other players in the lobby. While not a competitive mode in the game, some players have discovered a strategy that is spreading through the game and is causing it to be very difficult for the Infected to win. MW3 players have formed a near-perfect strategy The strategy began spreading around social media, and is rather simple: all the non-infected players find a small room where they hole up in, and plant all of their claymores facing the door. This means that any helpless Infected that comes through the door is met a massive explosion. All the non-Infected players are wearing a reindeer mask with its tongue sticking out only adds to the humor. The community on Reddit for MW3 is both laughing about the new strategy, while also debating if it’s viable or not. One user responded to a screenshot with, “wouldn’t one snowball set those all off?” Their question is in reference to the Infected being able to throw snowballs instead of grenades in the game mode. Other players believe that the claymores are spread out enough to not be triggered at the same time, and that the snowballs aren’t big enough to set them off. For the most part, though, everyone is enjoying the ridiculousness of a group of reindeer bunkering down in one room together, with another user saying, “The fact its all reindeer makes it 10x funnier.” It’s not hard to find something absurd in MW3 when players are given these masks to wear.

MW3 players discover a bizarre workaround to a camo bug – Dexerto
MW3 players discover a bizarre workaround to a camo bug ActivisionMW3 players are discovering an odd workaround to a known bug that is causing issues in unlocking gun camos. Many players are reporting issues with a camo challenge that asks them to get a certain amount of kills in Tactical Stance while moving. The issue is that while they are getting these kills, the game is not registering them for the challenge. However, some players have reported an odd workaround to the issue that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. MW3 players are having to use a red dot sight to help When a plea for help with this bug was posted on Reddit, the poster was expressing their frustration at having 9 of the 10 required kills, and the 10th kill not registering for them. “I’ve done so while walking and sliding about 50 times just to make sure. The issue is I’m getting no progress.” In their plea for help, another user gave them a solution that most players wouldn’t assume is the way to do it: “You need a red dot scope for tac stance to register properly.” For whatever reason, this user had found this to be the solution for their problem in MW3. A red dot sight is not an attachment that should have an effect of tactical stance at all, as the stance shows the character holding the gun at an angle, without aiming down the sights. It’s essentially a glorified hip-fire position. But it looks like, for whatever reason, this attachment is needed for the camo to be unlocked.

MW3 players deride camo challenges as “detriment” to the game – Dexerto
MW3 players deride camo challenges as “detriment” to the game Call of DutyMW3 players are done with the game’s camo challenges, viewing them as a “detriment” to the overall experience. MW3 may have changed up a few things from last year’s entry, but it did carry over a few systems that were present in MW2, such as camo challenges. These challenges offer specific objectives that players have to complete in order to unlock specific camos for that gun. However, this system is not beloved across the community, and many fans are now expressing their frustrations with it, deriding it as a “detriment” to the game. MW3 players are fed up with the camo challenges in the game In a post on the game’s subreddit, a player made their feelings known about the camo challenges, titling the post: “Camo challenges are a Detriment to the Game.” They went on to give more insight into their thoughts, writing, “I love a good grind, something to works towards as I play. But the issue is that the challenges promote a crappy style of play. Playing while mounted, prone, sliding, point black, it’s like the game is wanting us to camp and not go for the objective.” The top response to the post is in agreement, saying, “Like having a camo unlock by playing objectives? I’d like that.” The general sense among the players in agreement with the poster are that the challenges cause players to lose focus of playing the objective and just try for kills instead. However, not everyone thought that the camo challenges were hampering the experience, with one user saying: “I personally feel that the camo grind is actually trying to teach you how to play the game with certain weapons.” Another player was much more short with the critics: “It promotes camping? The opposite lol. Sliding, point blank, killing someone while affected by tactical, etc. The only thing they ‘promote’ is for the player to push the enemy. You couldn’t be more wrong about camping lol.” When the new camo system released with last year’s MW2, it was met with about the same response. Many felt that the simplified system made the game much more enjoyable and less grindy, while others didn’t appreciate the impact it had on players in matches. MW3 doesn’t seem to be changing this system anytime soon, and neither will players’ opinions about it.

MW3 players demand ways to counter “OP” Covert Sneakers – Dexerto
MW3 players demand ways to counter “OP” Covert Sneakers ActivisionMW3 players are at the end of their patience without having an adequate counter to the Covert Sneakers. The gear system in MW3 is a change-up on the series’ classic Perk system, where each player gets to choose a piece of gear to assign to three slots. Each piece of gear comes with a different Perk, with many of them the same ones that have been present in the game for years. However, there is one piece that the MW3 community has taken issue with as it has no counter to balance it. MW3 players want a counter to Covert Sneakers A post was made on the MW3 subreddit that wanted to discuss this situation, saying, “All the perk categories are pretty well-balanced, except for the boots category. Dead silence is way too much of a crutch and lacks any real competition…” Dead Silence is a Perk that comes with the Covert Sneakers, and allows players’ footsteps to be silent so others can’t hear them coming up. The MW3 community clearly is in agreement as the comments, with most of the users finding issue with the boots having a lack of a counter: “The problem is that every perk should have a counter perk, the bone conduction headset should have more power and counter the covert sneakers.” Others aren’t upset with having the boots in the game, but they do wish they had other options to equip for the Boots section of loadouts: “… you are correct in that there definitely needs to be other options that don’t suck…” Some MW3 fans have pointed out that a Perk that is in the game could work as a counter if they went back to its original use: “They need to make high alert work like it used to before so it can counter covert sneakers.” There is also a response of anger from some players who find the game’s fanbase to go between wanting Dead Silence to demanding it be removed over and over again. “Do you guys want dead silence as a perk or not? Because I remember everyone complaining that it wasn’t in the last 2 MW games.” There has been no mention by the MW3 devs for a counter to be added to the game, but it is clear that the community will continue to have a lot to say about it.

MW3 players demand the return of surprising “GOAT” small map – Dexerto
MW3 players demand the return of surprising “GOAT” small map ActivisionMW3 players are demanding the return of a surprisingly popular small map in the game, going so far as to label it the “GOAT.” There have been a large number of small maps that have made their way into Call of Duty players’ hearts over the years. While many of them don’t stick around for long, there have been a decent handful that keep coming back by popular demand. But now the community is demanding a surprising small map return to MW3 after being pulled from the game’s current rotation. MW3 fans want surprising map to come back A post was recently made on the MW3 subreddit that’s simply titled: “Unpopular Opinion: Meat is the GOAT Small map.” The post describes why one user prefers Meat over other small maps in MW3: “Rust is a little slow paced. Shipment is too fast. Meat is perfect.” The responses were largely in agreement, with one user succinctly saying: “100% agreed. It’s really standard for a small map. Neither too small like shipment, nor containing something like that tower in rust.” Usually, maps like Shipment, Nuketown, or Rust are the ones that come back repeatedly. Meanwhile, Meat is a brand-new one that launched with the release of MW3. It’s not often that the CoD community is so welcoming of a new map that releases with a game. But it looks like Meat has struck a chord with the community, as one player says, “Meat is by far the best small map since Nuketown. I actually prefer it over Nuketown.” Other fans have named some of their favorite, lesser-known small maps that they want as well, like Shoothouse and Mayhem. While MW3 has certainly faced its share of criticisms from the fanbase, it looks like Meat is one of those things that the devs don’t have to worry about.

MW3 players demand solutions as cheaters continue to plague matches – Dexerto
MW3 players demand solutions as cheaters continue to plague matches ActivisionMW3’s cheating epidemic has progressively worsened, and players are thinking of ways to combat the cheater plague. In an attempt to combat cheaters in every mode, Activision revealed Ricochet in 2021, an all-new anti-cheat system. Two years later, the anti-cheat is seemingly running on fumes, as MW3 and Warzone are both plagued with cheaters galore. It’s gotten to the point where some players can’t tell if others are blatantly cheating or are just good at the game. After an official update shared that over 23,000 accounts have been banned, MW3 players have taken it upon themselves to brainstorm additional measures to combat cheaters. CoD players brainstorm ways to counter MW3 cheater issues After reflecting on the state of MW3, with 23,000 accounts banned since mid-November, MW3 players sat down to think about what could be done to combat cheaters. “For ranked, they should consider making it only accessible after hitting level 100+ to prevent new accounts from hacking after a ban,” the top comment stated. Similar systems such as this are present in Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege, where it bars players from playing until they’ve hit account prerequisites. On the other hand, some applauded the anti-cheat appears to be “learning,” barring it’s programmed correctly. Others criticized the removal of toggling cross-play on or off. Aside from that, the conversation devolved into claims of “skill issue” again since player trust is at an all-time low. On one hand, 23,000 accounts banned feels like a decent start. However, if you factor in MW3’s free access weekend during December, it feels like a mere drop in the sea of cheaters. While Ricochet evolves quickly, many players feel that MW3 and Warzone’s cheater problem is out of control. Stay tuned as more news comes out and possibly an increase of cheaters banned in-game.

MW3 players demand “ridiculous” weapon gets Hardcore mode ban – Dexerto
MW3 players demand “ridiculous” weapon gets Hardcore mode ban ActivisionThe MW3 community is calling for the grenade launcher to be removed from all Hardcore playlists, due to how damaging it is. The RGL-80 grenade launcher in MW3 has been somewhat of a sticky subject for many players in the community, with many viewing it as too weak to be serviceable in the game’s normal multiplayer. However, while it has been relatively weak in the usual modes, Hardcore players are seeing it become the meta in the damage-boosted game type. This is resulting in the MW3 community calling for it to be banned from Hardcore playlists entirely to make the experience more fun. MW3 fans demand grenade launcher ban in Hardcore modes The argument is being made on the MW3 subreddit, where a post was made decrying how the grenade launcher is ruining the Hardcore game modes. “Seriously, the worst addition to this game was the grenade launcher. It’s weak in Reg. Core and ridiculous in Hardcore. Anyone else feel like Grenade launchers should be banned in Hardcore mode?” Largely, the other players agree with this sentiment, as many are fed up with how dominating the weapon has become in the game modes. “Every single HC S&D round starts with at least one person on both sides spamming the grenade launcher. So annoying.” Hardcore is a game mode that has been in CoD forever, seeing the game remove the mini-map and bump up the damage to give a more competitive feel. However, it seems that MW3’s Hardcore modes are under some intense scrutiny because of this powerful weapon. “Hardcore really should be JUST gunplay. No grenade launchers and even killstreaks tbh.” It is made even worse when the community remembers the weapon was once a killstreak in previous titles, making it more of an earned reward than an easy-to-get norm. “Dude, the fact that they took that P.O.S. from being a killstreak to just giving it to CoD players for nothing…purely insanity.” It looks like for many Hardcore MW3 players, the grenade launcher users are the villains at the moment.

MW3 players demand return of beloved 2022 Godzilla x Kong event – Dexerto
MW3 players demand return of beloved 2022 Godzilla x Kong event ActivisionMW3 fans are disappointed that the map, Mayhem, isn’t returning along with the upcoming collaboration with Godzilla x Kong. MW3 has another event involving everyone’s favorite Titans, and this isn’t the first time that Godzilla and Kong have come to CoD, but they aren’t coming with everything they had before. Back in 2022, Vanguard has a collaboration with Godzilla vs. Kong that brought a new game mode, new cosmetics, and a new map, Mayhem, with it. This map has a special place in people’s hearts, and the MW3 community really wishes it would return with this new event. This can be seen on the MW3 subreddit, where a player makes a post, saying, “Godzilla this, Kong that, it just don’t feel the same without.” He accompanies this with an image of Mayhem, a small map that took place on a miniature city movie set, much like what was used to film the old Godzilla and Kong movies. The rest of the community seems to agree with the OP, with one user saying: “I liked this map so much.” Others are even taking the time to give their respect to Vanguard, which wasn’t well-received in the community when it released. One fan says, “Vanguard had nothing but great maps outside of the sub base and Japanese tree map. Fun gameplay and everything. Such an overhated game.” This wouldn’t be the first time that the MW3 players are expressing their disappointment in how this new Godzilla x Kong event is going to be, but they still have plenty of other remastered maps to enjoy in Season 3.

MW3 players demand removal of gun cocking animation during respawn – Dexerto
MW3 players demand removal of gun cocking animation during respawn ActivisionMW3 player frustration is mounting, with players voicing their opinions on gun animations when respawning. MW3‘s smaller maps are some of the most efficient ways to grind through the game’s various challenges. Camo challenges can be completed in a few days, all thanks to the power of Rustment 24/7, the brutal gauntlet of Rust, Shipment, and Meat. That said, the blender of small maps has led to an increase in player frustration, especially if that’s all you play. Spawns have been inconsistent in MW3, but are worse in the smaller maps, as you can imagine. Compound spawns with bombarding Killstreaks, flashes, shotguns, and more, and player critiques are going to pile up. A new topic of ire has arisen, with players demanding the developers remove the gun cocking animation that takes place during respawn. MW3 players frustrated with gun cocking animations The past few entries of CoD introduced a new layer of realism across the board. One of the smaller details includes the gun cocking animation that takes place when you respawn or spawn into a match. It’s not inherently a problem since most maps are medium or bigger, meaning you’ll have time to pull off the animation before encountering a foe. However, the problem is much more notable on Rustment 24/7 since you will spawn on top of an enemy a lot and are left helpless as you try to cock the gun to defend yourself. This has led one ModernWarfareIII subreddit user to voice their frustration with the mechanic, citing how it’s an otherwordly pain, especially in hardcore modes and on Shipment. Unsurprisingly, this wasn’t an unpopular opinion, with loads of players chiming in. “Grinding a shotty and half my deaths are on spawn because a guy is right in my face, and I can’t do anything,” one player stated. Circling back to the topic of realism, another user jested: “I’m supposed to believe that my henati cat boy operator is going into an op on a shipping vessel with an unchambered round?” While more of a lighthearted jest, skins in MW3 and CoD, in general, have been a topic of division in recent years. A recent thread in the game’s subreddit countered these types of posts, claiming Rustment 24/7 players have “rotted people’s brains.” It’s almost as if the poster knew this new post would come sooner or later. While it’s unlikely Sledgehammer Games fully removes the animation, it would be a nice compromise to see a speed-up of said animation. Sledgehammer frequents the forums quite a bit, so stay tuned for any potential changes.

MW3 players demand permanent small map playlist after Rustment’s removal – Dexerto
MW3 players demand permanent small map playlist after Rustment’s removal ActivisionMW3 players are not happy with the recent removal of the Rustment playlist and want there to be a permanent playlist for small maps. With the recent update for MW3’s Season 1 Reloaded, the fan-favorite Rustment playlist was removed from rotation. This mode allowed players to only play on the Rust and Shipment maps, the two smallest maps in the game that have been popular in the franchise for a long time. With its removal, the MW3 playerbase is not happy and is demanding a permanent small map playlist be implemented. MW3 fans want a small map playlist In the wake of the update’s issues, the removal of Rustment has gone somewhat unnoticed – except for one player who took to the game’s subreddit to talk about it. They explain in their post: “People like the quick pace, the go-go-go. The fact that no alternate small map style was [given] is crazy to me. Now, i’ts all maps that can take 45 seconds to find a single person at times.” Many users came to support this sentiment, with one player responding: “The whole reason I play multiplayer/TDM-style sh*t like this is to shoot enemies. If I wanted to spend 2/3 of my match running around, I’d go play a BR.” Many members of the community believe that the devs just want players to have to play on the new map, Rio, that released with the update. Removing the Rustment playlist, which is highly popular, means that players will have to play on the new map playlist instead. Many players use maps like Shipment and Rust to grind out camo challenges in MW3, since their small size makes it much easier to get the kills needed for each one. As one user said, “Certain challenges can be done in less than half the time.” The Rustment playlist will surely return to MW3 at some point, and with the community uproar over it now, it could be sooner than later.

MW3 players demand nerfs to game’s most “busted” Sniper – Dexerto
MW3 players demand nerfs to game’s most “busted” Sniper ActivisionThe Longbow sniper rifle is dominating MW3’s multiplayer lobbies, and players are calling for nerfs to the most “busted” sniper rifle. Much like any other Call of Duty title, MW3 has faced its fair share of balancing issues. The early multiplayer days saw the MCW dominate the meta, although a handful of nerfs have “relatively” brought it back to Earth. One frequent target of criticism has been the semi-auto Longbow Sniper Rifle due to its incredible fire rate and one-shot potential. With player frustration reaching an all-time high, many are calling for nerfs to the “busted” Sniper Rifle. MW3 players blast Longbow sniper In a post shared to the MW3 subreddit, one MW3 player ripped into the Longbow sniper, citing the Longbow’s domination as worse than the Kar98’s reign of terror. “I legit can’t compete against 3 guys on the other team using this busted gun vs myself. I just pray CoD blesses me every lobby to get a noob lobby because they’re the only players who don’t abuse this gun,” the player said. As you can imagine, the opinion was quite popular amongst players, with others commenting on the gun’s popularity. “Every time I play 10v10 there’s 3 dudes on the other team with longbows literally going 70-13 every single game,” one player said. Another commented: “The audacity to call that thing a ‘sniper’.” Plenty of other posts flood the forums with similar pleas for nerfs or suggestions on how to bring the Longbow back to reality. One such example is players suggesting the developers remove the ability to change sights on the gun. Funny enough, the Longbow conundrum is eerily similar to what Fortnite players experienced with Chapter 5’s arrival, as snipers dominated the meta due to the mod system. Sledgehammer Games has proven it keeps its eyes on the community’s pulse, so perhaps future updates will introduce changes to the Longbow.

MW3 players demand MW2 buffs as ‘OP’ Bas-B takes over with new attachment – Dexerto
MW3 players demand MW2 buffs as ‘OP’ Bas-B takes over with new attachment ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are calling for some serious weapon buffs now that the “overpowered” Bas-B loadout with the JAK Outlaw kit is dominating with one-shot kills. While changes have, at times, been made to the TTK – Time to Kill – in Call of Duty, there have always been one-shot weapons. These are typically snipers, and everyone will accept that, but it has spread into other weapon categories at times as well. The newest one-shot beast that has caused controversy is the Bas-B. The Modern Warfare 3 battle rifle can delete enemies in fights up to 22 meters thanks to the new JAK Outlaw conversion kit – which massively buffs its aim-down sight time, flinch reduction, and TAC stance power. As a result, the battle rifle has become a staple already, and players are worried that it is too overpowered – even with the devs supposedly nerfing it. So, they want change. While they are hoping that the conversion kit will be nerfed again, some players just want other guns lifted up a level or two – and there are a few key ones, including the Lockwood MK2. “Buff the SPR-208, SA-B 50, Lockwood Mk2, and Crossbow. Let’s get some damage range buffs on these so they can have similar one-hit potential to the Tyrant and Outlaw kits,” Redditor GullibleRisk2837 urged. “If the Bas-B lever action is this strong, why isn’t the mk2 this strong?” another asked. “MK2 out here not even one-shotting and yet this thing has faster ADS, stronger aim assist, bigger mag, and a generous one-shot hitbox and it’s a f**king battle rifle,” said another. “All I want is my beloved Mk2 to be viable again,” another commented. Some players argued that the recent nerf to the Longbow paved the way for something like the Bas-B to take over, but it is clearly an issue. It remains to be seen if the devs will heed either the calls for buffs to Modern Warfare 2 weapons or if they’ll nerf the new conversion kit.

MW3 players demand more creativity with Seasonal Prestige emblems – Dexerto
MW3 players demand more creativity with Seasonal Prestige emblems ActivisionMW3 Season 3 introduces four new Prestige emblems, and after a sneak peek at the rewards, fans don’t like what they’re seeing. 2019’s Modern Warfare introduced the shift to seasonal Prestige; as new seasons were released, the level cap would slowly increase instead of having a high-level count at launch like in previous iterations. This strategy has been blasted by fans and back, especially with MW3’s launch, as players reached the max level in hours. That said, Season 3 continues this trend of drip-feeding Prestige, with levels 10-13 arriving for the dedicated players. New rewards are available with four new emblems, calling cards, and a blueprint up for grabs. However, the rewards themselves are proving to be underwhelming, as the Prestige reveal has the MW3 subreddit feeling less than pleased with this season’s bling. “They’re so boring,” one player bluntly stated. Another reply elegantly described the emblem’s transformation: “Bull threw up a diamond, died, diamond jumped on its head, and became a skull. Wow.” A continuous point of criticism was the unoriginality of the designs, with many citing Treyarch’s efforts in CoD titles such as Black Ops 1 and Black Ops: Cold War. Others referenced the fact there’s no Prestige Shop like in Cold War, where players could choose from Prestige icons from the original Modern Warfare up to Black Ops 4. MW3 still has some time on the board before all eyes turn toward the next entry, so hopefully, future seasons will see a shift in emblem creativity.

MW3 players demand devs fulfill long-awaited matchmaking promise – Dexerto
MW3 players demand devs fulfill long-awaited matchmaking promise ActivisionMW3 players are demanding that the developers own up to a promise they made awhile ago about matchmaking. The matchmaking system in MW3 is a bit of a sore subject in the game’s community, with many players feeling that it is in a bad state. And it seemed like the devs heard the complaints when they released a statement promising to discuss the system with the fans once Season 1 launched. Now, we are a few weeks into the season and there has been no word about it, leaving fans disappointed and wanting answers. MW3 fans are demanding a promised update to matchmaking A player posted an image of the previous statement to the game’s subreddit, asking, “What ever became of this?” The statement promises to address the community’s concerns about matchmaking, explaining that developers need time to “pull together all of [their] work” before they can have the conversation. This post led to players questioning whether it will ever happen, with many of them expressing doubts: “I’m calling pure bs. They know what they’re doing.” Another MW3 fan suggested the same thing, albeit in a much more sarcastic way: “They put their best intern on it to gather input from the devs. We should have an answer by Warzone 17.” Some believe that it could happen once Season 1 Reloaded’s midseason release goes live next week. Despite the demand for the discussion, some fans don’t think it is going to do much good: “My best guess is that they’re going to talk about how it always prioritizes connection, skill is the lesser extent, it’s good for the game because of the fair matches, and the misconceptions about it are total fabrications. Once that happens, the community is going to riot.” The community has been questioning the matchmaking fortitude of COD games for a long time, and MW3 is just another example in a long list. Whether or not substantial changes will ever arrive remains to be seen.

MW3 players demand a rework for “dumbest” camo challenge – Dexerto
MW3 players demand a rework for “dumbest” camo challenge ActivisionMW3 community members can’t wrap their heads around needing to destroy 25 equipment items with a grenade launcher to unlock a mastery camo. Modern Warfare 3 features the largest camo grind in Call of Duty history. There are 114 weapons available in the game at launch, comprising 37 new guns and 77 from MW2. Sledgehammer Games introduced four total weapon mastery grinds. If players haven’t already unlocked every MW2 weapon camo, those weapon challenges carry over. Then players will have to complete every MW3 multiplayer and zombies challenge. And if that wasn’t enough, the devs also introduced new MW2 weapon camos to Zombies. To eliminate any confusion, All base Modern Warfare 2 weapon camos can be applied to Modern Warfare 3 weapons. You cannot use MW2 completionist camos on MW3 weapons. Some content creators have already poured endless hours into the game and unlocked every camo. But for some community members, one challenge in particular stands out as an insurmountable obstacle. MW3 community members slam RGL-80 camo challenge Base camo challenges are unique to each weapon category and cater to the class’s playstyle. For example, the AR challenges require players to get ADS kills. When it comes to the RGL-80, one of the challenges calls for destroying 25 equipment items. A frustrated community member took to Reddit and argued: “This is the dumbest challenge in the game by far. I have been playing for three hours now and I have only destroyed 3, and all three came in the same match.” The Reddit user complained because most eligible equipment items are locked behind the Armory system, and asking players in voice chat for help hasn’t worked either. Other community members shared a similar sentiment. “I f**king despise this challenge. It’s so broken,” one player responded. Meanwhile, others offered up some helpful advice. A second user suggested: “I joined free for all matches with the clan tag set to RGL80 and asked if someone was willing to claymore trade. It might take a game or four but you will eventually find someone willing.” It also helps that players will be able to skip this challenge eventually. Camo mastery challenges only require a specific number of weapons to be completed. So when Season 1 inevitably adds more weapons, players will be able to complete one of those challenges instead of the RGL-80.

MW3 players delighted as iconic CoD attachment finally returns – Dexerto
MW3 players delighted as iconic CoD attachment finally returns ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are over the moon as a classic Call of Duty attachment has finally made its return to the game with the Season 2 Reloaded update. As Call of Duty has started to revisit old series’ and timelines over the last few years, plenty of weapons, maps, and characters have returned in a big way. Some of these returns have excited fans, especially as they get big hits of nostalgia from what they see as better days and games. So, when Modern Warfare 3 was first announced and it was confirmed that the multiplayer side of things would mostly be a Modern Warfare blast from the past – including a majority of maps from the original MW2 and some weapons – they were delighted. While new maps and weapons have been added at times, the Season 2 Reloaded update has brought back some other classic bits – including the Das Haus map – and one particular weapon attachment. MW3 players love that CoD 4 attachment has finally returned If you’ve missed it so far, the classic Red Dot Sight from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been added to Modern Warfare 3, and fans are absolutely delighted by it – especially as it’s not been in a CoD game since Black Ops Cold War. “So glad to see it back,” one fan commented. “I want to recreate the COD4 red tiger red dot M16 with the golden Deagle,” another said. “Maaaan I miss using this with the M4 so much, bring back CoD 4 please,” added another. “Immediately put it on every gun, love it,” another fan chimed in. To unlock the classic sight, you have to level the new battle rifle, the SOA Subverter, all the way up to level eight. It doesn’t offer any massive benefits to sway and control like other optics, but the nostalgia hit brings its own benefits.

MW3 players delighted as fan-favorite mode finally returns for first time in years – Dexerto
MW3 players delighted as fan-favorite mode finally returns for first time in years ActivisionModern Warfare 3 fans are ecstatic as a popular multiplayer mode is being brought in Season 5 Reloaded for the first time in a few years. Back in 2019, when the Modern Warfare series was rebooted, many fans were worried it would just be a nostalgia trip – rehashing the best of Call of Duty 4, as well as the original Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare. That wasn’t the case, however. The single-player story was brand-new, multiplayer was pretty different, and, of course, there was Warzone. When it comes to the multiplayer side of things, MW 2019 introduced us to Cyber Attack. The Search And Destroy-esque mode saw players battle for control of a device before having to plant it on an enemy position. Even though new games have come out, and fans have called for its return, Cyber Attack has been left to MW 2019. Well, that is until the arrival of Season 5 Reloaded in Modern Warfare 3 as the popular mode will return. “Friends are excited and the Cyber community is happy that it’s returning. Been fighting for this since Season 1 and seen many posts about wanting for this mode to return and we did it!” Redditor Gamerquestions1 posted. “I’ll be playing it religiously,” another player chimed in. “FINALLYYYYYYYYYYY,” another said. “So keen for cyber!!!!” commented another. Sledgehammer also confirmed that there will be a Hardcore version too. “Yes, there will be a Hardcore playlist for Cyber Attack,” they commented on Reddit. Sadly, the Piccadilly map from Modern Warfare 2019 – which was another fan-favorite for Cyber Attack – isn’t returning. You’ll just have to make do with the likes of Favela and Terminal. On top of that, Season 5 Reloaded will also see the return of a Paintball mode. So, longtime CoD fans are eating.

MW3 players convinced classic MW2 maps have “disappeared” from multiplayer – Dexerto
MW3 players convinced classic MW2 maps have “disappeared” from multiplayer ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are convinced that some of the most divisive maps in the game have ‘disappeared’ as many of them haven’t found a game on them for quite some time. When Modern Warfare 3 was first announced, and it was confirmed that the multiplayer side of things was to basically copy the original Modern Warfare 2, many fans were overjoyed. They celebrated the fact they’d be able to go back to maps like Skidrow, Terminal, Quarry, and Favela, as well as playing fighting on some new virtual battlegrounds. Despite that early enthusiasm, things haven’t gone as smoothly as some fans would have hoped in the months since then. Plenty of fans have complained about some of the most iconic maps in CoD history, including Terminal, saying that they no longer play like their original selves and that others aren’t worth the nostalgia trip. Well, now, some fans have complained that some of the other maps – like Wasteland and Derail – are no longer showing up in map rotations and appear to have ‘disappeared’ from the game. “I’ve been playing MW3 since it came out, and I noticed that it has been a while since I played on those maps: Wasteland, Underpass, Mercado Las Almas, Crown Raceway,” Redditor SatanicGeek pointed out on June 17. “I still see wasteland pop up sometimes in SnD and very occasionally underpass, but yeah Mercado and Raceway have disappeared,” one answered. “Wasteland, Underpass and 4 others I haven’t seen in months,” another added. One fan even went as far as claiming that Wasteland was ‘removed’ by the devs. However, that is not the case as it is still in the map rotation. Other players urged the devs to “make a playlist with MW2 classic maps only” as well as one with maps from Modern Warfare 3. Enough maps have been added to the new game to make that a reality, but as for maps disappearing from the game, that’s just not happening. They’re just not being voted on to play in certain lobbies.

MW3 players convinced anti-cheat “doesn’t exist” as 91-kill player destroys pro – Dexerto
MW3 players convinced anti-cheat “doesn’t exist” as 91-kill player destroys pro ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are questioning the effectiveness of the game’s RICOCHET anti-cheat system after CDL pro Skyz lost a ranked game against an opponent with 91 kills. MW3 has come under heavy criticism from the community over the last few months due to its lack of protection from hackers and cheaters. Both players and content creators alike have called out Activision for the anti-cheat’s inability to catch its intended targets. The most recent development came when a video surfaced from a cheating Discord server that demonstrated their cheats will turn off as soon as RICOCHET begins “investigating” the player’s account – which makes it next to impossible to catch those who are cheating with the program, alone. Pro players are also seeing the effects of these cheaters in their ranked matches. When not practicing with their teams, many pros will take to ranked to get extra reps in. However, cheaters run rampant in ranked, which ultimately ruins the experience for everyone. MW3 anti-cheat under fire after 91 kill game While streaming his ranked games, pro player and recent World Champion winner Skyz became subject to an obvious cheater on the enemy team. Not only was Skyz able to get just six kills, but his opponent ranked up almost 100 kills against his team during a Hardpoint match. “If RICOCHET doesn’t catch that,” said one Reddit commenter, “It doesn’t exist.” Others beneath the post also pointed out that another user on the enemy team was also cheating. The player, who only had 57 kills in comparison to their teammate’s 91, had “TikTok” as their clan tag. Upon further investigation, it appeared the player was advertising the cheating Discord on their page. “So many easy ways to detect this,” said another user. “Headshot percentage, accuracy, bullet penetration hit markers, spm, k/d. You mean to tell me they don’t have the systems in place to catch blatantly obvious outliers like these guys rage hacking?” While Activision claims that the system is working and that they have banned thousands of cheaters with it, players are still feeling the effects of these hackers. No further action has been taken by the developers to come up with new ways to remove these cheaters from the game.

MW3 players continue to beg devs to get rid of annoying animation – Dexerto
MW3 players continue to beg devs to get rid of annoying animation ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are pleading for the devs to remove the “annoying” weapon animation that is causing them to die in-game. Since Modern Warfare 3’s release, players have requested a ton of changes and features to be added to the popular first-person shooter Recently, fans have been growing frustrated over the game’s gun cocking animation that plays when you respawn, where on December 19 many demanded that the devs remove the feature in its entirety. They explained that on smaller maps such as Rust and Shipment, it’s too easy to be caught out by enemies during the animation. Now, players are pleading for the devs to get rid of the annoying animation once and for all. MW3 demand devs get rid of gun cocking animation In a December 23 Reddit post, one Modern Warfare 3 player brought up the issue of the gun cocking animation once again, pleading for it to be removed from the game. “The amount of times I have died when stuck in the gun cock animation is ridiculous,” they explained. “It doesn’t help that the spawn system is so unbelievably sh*t that you spawn in the crosshairs of an enemy.” They added: “Get rid of it.” In the replies to the thread, several hit out at the animation, while others took issue with its unfair inconsistency. “It only needs to happen at the beginning of the match not every single spawn it’s crazy,” said one. “It’s idiotic and shouldn’t be a thing, only at the start of the match when you rope down from the chopper,” wrote another. “Yes this inconsistency is bullsh*t too. It means for some, it is happening, but not for others. and that just ain’t fair,” said a third. While certainly frustrating, according to some players there is a solution. Quickly double-tapping ‘Y’ or ‘Triangle’ on your controller can completely stop the animation. Although still, players are baffled as to why the animation players every time you spawn. Regardless, we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not the devs respond to the demands from the community.

MW3 players concerned major issue could “kill” game already if not fixed – Dexerto
MW3 players concerned major issue could “kill” game already if not fixed ActivisionCall of Duty Modern Warfare 3 players have got one big issue with multiplayer that they’re concerned could “kill” the game already if it’s not addressed. Over the last few years, the Call of Duty community has gotten increasingly frustrated with multiplayer matchmaking and just how exactly it works. Casual players have continually complained that many games feel like high-stakes competitive games rather than just fun. On the other, players who would rather dip their toe into Ranked Play have been annoyed by the long wait for that to release, and even when it does, they’ve voiced concerns about rank distribution. Well, in the short time that Modern Warfare 3 has been out, those complaints have reared their heads again, as players have gotten frustrated at how matchmaking has been shaking out. MW3 players furious with matchmaking and SBMM already “The current matchmaking will kill the game,” claimed Redditor ivory_tusks, who added that the game has the potential to be “great” but is being held back by “tragic” matchmaking. “It just feels impossible to have fun in the game at the moment, every match is an MLG top tier battle for $1000000 no fun or goofing around allowed, you must sweat your ass off if you want to go positive or you’ll get smacked,” they added. Others quickly agreed too. “Seriously these players are top 1% how are they in almost every lobby lol it’s crazy,” said one. “If I enter a game and its ultra sweaty I just leave until I find a decent one, why should I put myself through absolute misery when I can just keep looking?” another said. Plenty of players added that the game is “punishing” and “brutal” for those who want to solo queue. “Solo player here also, my team are always absolutely shocking meanwhile the other team has nuclear calling cards and the lot,” said one. Some argued that, given these complaints have been around for a while, nothing wholesale is likely to change. “SBMM didn’t kill mw2 so why would it kill mw3?” one countered. “CoD games never die. They either do amazingly or really well,” added another. There may be some tuning for the devs to do behind the scenes, but again, its unlikely to be the overhaul some are demanding.

MW3 players claim they’re “better humans” for not using Riot Shield – Dexerto
MW3 players claim they’re “better humans” for not using Riot Shield ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players believe they are “better humans” for never using the Riot Shield in Multiplayer, as the melee weapon continues to cause headaches across lobbies. The Riot Shield has always been an interesting weapon in Call of Duty. It was first introduced back in Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and while annoying at times, the melee weapon was easily counterable. Stick a Semtex on the shield and you’d see plastic go flying skyward. Over the last few years, and especially when it comes to Warzone, Riot Shield users have become increasingly more annoying. The shield itself was nerfed in the early days of Modern Warfare 3 (2023), and while explosive counters are still available, melee users still have a massive advantage at times. And while a wide range of players have, at times, given in and just run wild with the shield, there are some players who believe they are better than the rest because they haven’t given in. “I have never used it even once,” one Redditor said, answering another’s question about whether or not players have leveled up the melee weapon over the last year. “Got that f**ker gold right before the riot sheid nerf In 2022. Never touched it again,” another said. “Never used it. Stay strong my non riot shield players,” commented another. “It’s nice knowing that we’re just better human beings for not using it,” one player also added. ‘I’m a normal human being so I literally never use it,” another replied. One player added that there is “zero point” in using the Riot Shield, while others claimed they’ll only use it to get the game’s mastery weapon camos and complete those challenges. Some CoD fans have, at times, gone as far as urging the devs to completely remove the melee weapon, but that’s unlikely to ever happen.

MW3 players claim small maps like Rust have “rotted people’s brains” – Dexerto
MW3 players claim small maps like Rust have “rotted people’s brains” ActivisionOne MW3 player claims “Meat Brain” is real, with some players lobbying for unfair changes that’ll impact the entire game solely based on their experiences in smaller maps. When it comes to COD multiplayer, one of the most efficient ways of leveling up or completing camo challenges is in the smaller maps. Luckily, MW3 is no stranger to small maps, with Rust and Shipment series’ standouts and Season 1 introducing Meat, another bite-sized map to grind on. As efficient as these maps are at completing checklists, they’ve become increasingly difficult to enjoy compared to the normal-sized map pool. Smaller maps translate to borderline horrific spawns, which only become worse as your team is bombarded by Killstreaks, Shotguns, and other “unfair” gameplay design choices. After playing Rustment 24/7, player feedback has been at an all-time high, demanding sweeping changes. However, one MW3 combats all the complaints with a reverse card, citing “Shipment/Rust/Meat Brain.” MW3 player describes “Meat Brain” Open up the MW3 Reddit, and many of the posts are filled with similar themes — bad spawns, shotguns, players with knives, and the gun animation when you respawn/load in. Reddit user SufficientMarket7648 took to the platform with a hot post, combatting all the player feedback. “Shipment/Rust/Meat Brain is REAL,” they stated. They continued: “I’ve finally realized why so many people here have such insane takes all the time, that get upvoted to high hell — it’s Shipment. You people play nothing but shipment and its pals.” “These people are demanding changes that will affect the entire game solely for the sake of Rustment 24/7.” The constant action in these smaller maps is going to reveal the game’s “flaws.” Shotguns aren’t the worst, but you’re going to lose to them in a small map, spawns aren’t perfect, but you’re going to spawn on top of someone in Meat. One player summed it up perfectly: “These maps were not designed for 6v6, Shipment and Rust especially.” For veterans of the series, Shipment was perfect for Cage Match and Free-For-All, the former a 1v1 map, before it turned into a playable nightmare across all modes. In all fairness, Sledgehammer Games is investigating Rust spawns, but there’s only so much that can be done on these smaller maps.

MW3 players claim rampant server issues are ruining the game – Dexerto
MW3 players claim rampant server issues are ruining the game ActivisionModern Warfare 3 has been suffering from multiple issues ever since its release. However, one issue that players cannot tolerate three months after the launch of the game are the various server issues that are ruining their experience. Modern Warfare 3 is quite possibly one of the most frustrating Call of Duty games in a long while. Several players have complained about how the game feels terrible and incomplete. The rushed development process has led to the community being disappointed and that is continuing even today. As it happens, players have been complaining very recently that several server issues are ruining their experience. They claim that shooting guns feels horrible as bullets do not register but enemies can defeat you very fast due to server desync issues. MW3 players are frustrated over server issues that are ruining their experience The discussion surrounding this issue was started by a Reddit user named Doofensanshmirtz. The user commented, “everytime, like EVERY SINGLE TIME i get into a gunfight i always die no matter what, its so f***** annoying and stressing and its pissing me off.” They continued, “WHY IS EVERYONE IN THIS GAME AN EXACT CLONE OF F****** SUPERMAN, EVEN WITH SNIPERS, I SHOOT MFS IN THE HEAD AND WOW, A F****** HITMARKER.” Other players joined the conversation and a lot of them believed the same. One such user mentioned, “I’ve been having the same issues. I shot someone first, empty half of the mag in them, and then they just turn around, shoot me 4-5 times and I’m dead” Another user chimed in, “I get it… the de-sync is really bad (worse than I’ve seen it for a while) so it looks like the other player is only getting one shot off on you while you unload a whole mag and still die.” Another player claimed, “Most of the time I’m not mad at losing gunfights. I do get pissed when someone lobs a grenade at me and I have time to run far away, still get blown up.” Finally, a player commented, “I’ve been having this same issue. I feel like I’m pumping heavy machine gun bullets into a guy. Like 30 rounds & I die quickly from 5 hits. Idk wtf be happening.” Therefore, it is safe to say everyone is annoyed about this problem. Activision has not made any comments yet, but we will update you with information once it becomes available.

MW3 players claim new skin is the most “pay to lose” in CoD history – Dexerto
MW3 players claim new skin is the most “pay to lose” in CoD history ActivisionThe Sketched Out operator bundle in MW3 has been a target for many reasons since it launched. Now, players are labeling it the most “pay to lose” skin in CoD’s history. Since Modern Warfare 2019, the approach to in-game cosmetics in CoD has shifted drastically. Each new entry pushes the boundaries, with crossovers with popular brands and new imaginative creations. The shift in strategy has been, with many players wanting a more realistic cosmetic approach versus playing as Godzilla or overly colorful characters. The Sketched Out pack has been a target of criticism since it hit MW3 in early February before Season 2 arrived, and as time goes on, the criticism rises with fans deeming it the most “pay to lose” skin ever. MW3’s Sketched Out bundle divides players The Sketched Out pack is in MW3 and Warzone’s store for 2400 COD Points, and it brings a unique comic book aesthetic to CoD. It’s been blasted by players for looking like a Fortnite skin, and it’s also raised plenty of visibility concerns. Some have called it a giant “neon sign” that gives away your location. In a post shared to the MW3 subreddit, one MW3 player addressed those visibility concerns. “I’m so glad this guy picked the bright comic book skin,” they said. “It made him super easy to kill,” as they lay prone on Shipment looking at the helpless player. Other players chimed in on the skin’s zany appearance: “Pay to lose.” Another added on to the previous sentiment by stating: “It’s the most pay to lose skin in the game.” Funnily enough, plenty of players showed support for the skin. “I f**king love this skin. Got that cell-shaded look that I like,” one player said. Another replied: “Love this skin. It’s the only one I’ve ever bought from the store. I’ve been using it the last few weeks.” As mentioned, skins like these typically see the player base revisit the visibility concern, which is a fair concern after the Roze and Gaia skins ran rampant in their respective titles. One player shared their take: “I’ve never really had an easier or harder time to see and hit enemies regarding their skin.” Counter to that, one user mentioned the Gaia skin that got nerfed specifically because of visibility issues, saying they much prefer this to not being able to see their enemy at all. “I prefer this over that groot bullsh*t campers use,” they claimed. Either way, it seems that some people are ok with being a bit easier to see and paying to lose if it means running around the map in style.

MW3 players claim major issue makes all MW2 weapons worse – Dexerto
MW3 players claim major issue makes all MW2 weapons worse ActivisionMW2’s weaponry isn’t holding up well compared to MW3’s smaller arsenal, as fans continue to lobby for changes to last year’s armory. Heading into MW3, Activision’s big marketing push was the Carry Forward system. As the name implies, everything from cosmetics to guns from 2022’s MW2 would carry forward to Modern Warfare 3. Cosmetically speaking, it’s a great system, as it massively benefited those who invested in MW2’s cosmetics. On the other hand, it’s been a nightmare to balance, as MW2’s weaponry has massively suffered due to differences in design choices. Despite the previous sentiment, Sledgehammer Games has worked on balancing passes for MW2’s weaponry, although fans hope more significant changes are inbound. MW3 players hope for more balancing to MW2’s weapons The reboot of the Modern Warfare series saw Infinity Ward add extra layers of realism to the in-game weaponry. This carried over to the multiplayer component, as weapons suffered from immense recoil, both physically and visually, no matter how you assembled your weapon in the Gunsmith. With MW3, Sledgehammer went back to the “roots” of CoD, ditching the added layers of realism such as that recoil and other design choices Infinity Ward introduced. That flip-flop in design choice created the problem players currently face — MW2’s weaponry feels “inferior” due to design choices compared to MW3’s arsenal. Plenty of threads have shouted for change, such as this thread that describes the sheer disappointment of not being able to use MW2’s weapons due to how “weak they are.” The top comment to the thread summarized the situation perfectly: “Please SHG, reduce the visual recoil on MWII guns. It would open up for more attachment possibilities on these weapons.” Across two seasons, the balancing notes have been rife with improvements to MW2’s arsenal, and some of the comments reiterated that along with their suggestions on what’s worked for them. “Try using some MW3 attachments where you can like the Slate reflector, Bruen Heavy Support Grip, and any muzzle that helps gun kick control and/or firing aim stability.” This player also stated the guns hold up well TTK-wise, despite the visual recoil issue. With visual recoil a design choice, it may be a tough ask from Sledgehammer to completely rework guns from a title released almost two years ago. Season 2 introduced massive changes to how ADS and hipfire work, so the potential for change is there.

MW3 players claim Das Haus “revenge spawns” are worse than Vanguard’s – Dexerto
MW3 players claim Das Haus “revenge spawns” are worse than Vanguard’s ActivisionDas Haus arrived as part of MW3’s Season 2 Reloaded, yet the spawns have fans believing “revenge spawns” are real. Among the sea of critiques MW3 has faced, the spawn system has remained a never-ending constant for players. The normal-sized maps faced their fair share of troubles during the game’s early days, with ridiculous clips on Quarry showing how broken the system was. However, this issue reached new heights when more players started playing the smaller map playlists, with revenge spawning a popular conspiracy theory. With Das Haus now in MW3, the discussion of revenge spawns is ramping up as players find themselves sick of the returning map. MW3 players blast Das Haus’ return Small maps have been an issue in MW3, with players voicing numerous changes based on their small map experiences. It’s left a division amongst the community, although Sledgehammer Games has handled critiques pretty well, such as changing the gun cocking animation in small maps. However, spawns in small maps are a constant irk. Das Haus’ return has further exacerbated that issue, as one player shared the map simply “sucks.” “The layout is fine,” they started before they explained: “The spawns make it unplayable. Why move at all? Spawn, sit there, and enemies will pop into existence in front of you.” The thread was filled with players sharing similar experiences: “I spawned in with three enemy players at the same time. Yeah I just instantly die,” one player said. Of course, the thread opened the doorway for revenge spawns to become a hot talking point. For the unaware, revenge spawns are the “unexplained” phenomena of killing an enemy, and they spawn in a favorable position to return the favor. “The revenge spawn system is wild too, I can kill a guy, and he’s spawned and hunted me down before I can get a reload in,” one commenter said further “proving” that the theory is real. That is, at least it convinced the OP. “It’s the revenge spawns that mess all up. Vanguard did NOT have revenge spawns like this. This makes the spawn points flip flopping around like mad since one player spawns at the enemy side and the team spawns will follow.” Plenty of other threads share similar themes. As Das Haus just joined the map pool, it’ll likely be some time before any changes are implemented.

MW3 players celebrate new Aftermarket Part that recreates fan-favorite weapon – Dexerto
MW3 players celebrate new Aftermarket Part that recreates fan-favorite weapon ActivisionThe MW3 community is ecstatic as the multiplayer mode has added a fully-automatic M16 assault rifle, something that fans have been wanting for nearly 17 years. This weapon has been around forever as fully-automatic in the series’ campaigns, but was always relegated to burst-fire in the multiplayer modes. That has finally changed and the M16 is making its appearance in MW3 as a fully-automatic option to take into battle by using the JAK Patriot conversion kit. Many players are thrilled by this news, with the subreddit celebrating its release for the first time in the history of Call of Duty multiplayer. Another user praised the move, saying: “I’ve been waiting YEARS for this.” One person even called back to an iconic moment from a different game in the franchise, saying, “Screw how it performs, I’m slapping on a M203, and blasting Fortunate Son.” This is a reference to the iconic S.O.G. campaign mission from the original Black Ops, which featured the M16. After so many appearances in various single-player stories, it always felt like an odd choice to exclude that version of the gun from other modes. This is why the MW3 community is so excited by the news. However, there are some MW3 fans who wish that the burstfire mode was improved upon, rather than just getting a conversion kit to make it fully-automatic. They believe that a lack of viable burstfire guns is a “huge complaint,” including one fan who felt the series “has trouble” in balancing these types of weapons. Despite the ability to keep it as burstfire by removing the JAK Patriot kit, some players seem disappointed that this mode still feels underpowered. It’s been years since a viable burstfire weapon was in the meta for a Call of Duty multiplayer game, going back to the Black Ops 3 era. And burstfire used to be a meta option, especially in 2007’s Call of Duty 4, where the M16 combined with the Stopping Power perk was nearly unstoppable. Of course, Warzone saw guns like this take the spotlight briefly after the DMR was nerfed out of its top spot in the meta. However, this is completely separate from the multiplayer mode and it was a short-lived moment. Regardless, however, it’s a big moment for the MW3 playerbase, as they feel like the devs are listening by adding something that has been requested for so long.

MW3 players call ranked mode the “worst” they’ve ever played – Dexerto
MW3 players call ranked mode the “worst” they’ve ever played ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are lashing out with their frustrations, calling the game’s ranked mode the “worst” competitive mode they’ve ever played. Modern Warfare 3 was accepted reasonably well by CoD players at launch, but still received a fair amount of criticism for numerous reasons. Complaints have continued ever since the game’s release, mostly surrounding the controversial skill-based matchmaking system, where finally after months of waiting MW3’s highly-requested Ranked Play mode was released. However, the devs quickly faced even more backlash for the ranked mode having the “most broken matchmaking system.” MW3 players blast Ranked as “worst” mode they’ve ever played On February 6, one CoD player kicked off a discussion regarding the MW3’s ranked play. Criticism surrounding the competitive mode is certainly nothing new, although some are now claiming it’s the worst they’ve ever played. “MW3 Ranked is probably the WORST competitive mode I’ve ever played,” they said in a Reddit thread. In the replies to the post, it’s clear many feel the same, mostly due to the “insane” skill-based matchmaking that is somehow worse than the highly criticized SBMM seen in pub matches. “The SBMM on ranked is the most insane thing I have ever seen,” one claimed. The SBMM in ranked managed to be way worse than pubs.” According to some, the issue lies with the way players are ranked. “I think that it’s broken for many reasons but the way they calculate SR means you can be a skilled player and get stuck in low ranks due to getting hard matches,” they explained. Some claim it simply doesn’t make any sense regardless. “It doesn’t make any sense. Why the f**k does ranked have hidden mmr / sbmm?” one hit out. It’s clear that players are frustrated, although we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not the devs act on the criticism from the community with changes in future updates.

MW3 players call out Activision for selling $20 “recolor” skins – Dexerto
MW3 players call out Activision for selling $20 “recolor” skins Modern Warfare 3MW3 players are putting Activision on blast for charging more than $20 for a new Operator skin in the game’s store. Much attention has been paid to the store in MW3, just as it has been in previous entries in the Call of Duty series. A number of collabs like the recent Dune crossover have given players skins that they’ve been excited about. However, the prices of items that can be purchased have come under a lot of scrutiny due to their cost in comparison to how much you’re actually getting. This debate is continuing on with the release of a new Operator skin bundle that is raising eyebrows with its price point. MW3 players are upset about $20 Operator skin “recolor” A recent post was made on the MW3 subreddit about the Operator skin bundle, called Null & Void. The focus of the post is the bundle’s price point, which is a significant 2400 COD Points. The title of the post is simple: “2400 CP for Recolour.” For context, 2400 COD Points are a currency that players have to purchase with real money, and the value of 2400 comes out to roughly $24. However, players who purchase the 2400 CoD points bundle can get that amount for $20. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the bundle contains both Operator skins, two weapon skins, and some other goodies. It isn’t just these two skins. However, most of the community sees this as another example of Activision recycling their cosmetics and re-selling them for a profit, which is especially frowned upon when the game itself costs $70. The comments on the post reflect this anger, with one user saying, “… what an actual scam.” Many players are arguing that, if players think the price is too high, the best thing to do is not to purchase it or any other bundles. The top comment in the thread is echoing this sentiment: “It’s not 2400 CP for a recolor if you don’t buy it.” Other players claim this issue is a gradual one, claiming that: “The store bundles have been a terrible value since MW2019. Ever since they abandoned skins for blueprints, which are objectively less content, for double the price of what premium skins used to cost.” As of now, it doesn’t seem that Activision is going to be slowing down any time soon with these MW3 bundles and their prices.

MW3 players call for return of fan-favorite modes after going missing for years – Dexerto
MW3 players call for return of fan-favorite modes after going missing for years ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are urging the devs to bring back some fan-favorite multiplayer modes that have been missing from Call of Duty games for a few years. When it comes to playing Call of Duty multiplayer, everyone has their favorite modes. Some are Team Deathmatch lovers, others just grind Search and Destroy, and you’ll finally plenty of others sprinting from hill to hill in Hardpoint. Over the years, the multiplayer side of CoD has expanded massively beyond those selections, as the developers have started rotating playlists in and out every week. This has caused some annoyances for players, especially when popular ones disappear without any prior mention. However, they’ve now started campaigning for some party modes to return, especially ones that have been missing for a few release cycles now. CoD fans want fan-favorite party modes back in Modern Warfare 3 That’s right, if you’ve missed the likes of Prop Hunt, Sticks and Stones, and even Infected, you’re not the only one. Plenty of CoD players have been urging the devs to get a few of these back, just to give Modern Warfare 3 a bit more variety for casuals. “Prop Hunt is one of my favorite modes but I have to download WW2 to play Prop Hunt or Cold War. Plz bring it back I know I’m not alone on this!” said one fan, who urged others to back their call. “Prop Hunt was amazing. I’m hopeful the next cod game will make better use of it,” said one. “I miss Prop Hunt. And the giant gas station marquee,” another added. “Bring back Sticks and Stones!!!!!” commented another. “Double Agent was amazing as well.” It’s difficult to say if the party modes will be added back at any point, especially as they’ve been missing since Black Ops Cold War – which was released back in 2020. However, it’s clear that there is an appetite for their return, so it is on the devs to make it happen.

MW3 players ‘bored’ with iconic maps still being popular – Dexerto
MW3 players ‘bored’ with iconic maps still being popular ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are still ‘bored’ with some of the most iconic maps in CoD history and wouldn’t mind seeing the rotations change in the near future. Over the last few years, there have been plenty of calls from Call of Duty players for a game that takes the best parts of previous titles and puts them under one umbrella. For some, those calls were answered with the release of Modern Warfare 3 in 2023. Not only does it continue the soft reboot of the Modern Warfare series, but the multiplayer side of the game takes a lot from the original Modern Warfare 2. Maps like Terminal, Favela, Highrise, and Skidrow are back, and while iconic guns like the ACR and Intervention aren’t, there are carbon copies. It’s the maps that have caused some annoyance, however, as some players are ‘bored’ with some of the most recognizable battlegrounds. MW3 players still annoyed by Terminal in multiplayer Despite the nostalgia, plenty of players are annoyed with the likes of Terminal still being a staple in multiplayer. “It’s one of the worst maps in rotation and encourages camping and an incredibly boring and monotonous style of play. Every game is exactly the same,” one player opined. “It’s no OG Terminal. The new one is a head-glitch simulator. Always someone behind a f**king counter lol,” another added. “Terminal doesn’t play like it used too it’s honestly my least favorite map,” agreed another. “The movement in the original mw2 from 2009 was slower paced so the map played differently. Terminal now is just holding sight lines. Similar to high rise imo,” commented another. Some players raised concerns about Estate, Derail, and Wasteland too, claiming they play completely differently to the original MW2. The devs have already added some of their own maps for MW3, including Rio and Meat, but players clearly want more.

MW3 players blast “terrible” Aftermarket Parts as they keep being added – Dexerto
MW3 players blast “terrible” Aftermarket Parts as they keep being added ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have hit out at the “terrible” Aftermarket Parts that have been added to the game, with some claiming that they just don’t work whatsoever. When Call of Duty first started out, the create-a-class system was barebones and easy to pick up. Over the last few years, things have gotten pretty hardcore with the addition of weapon turning and unlocking new guns through weapon families. While weapon tuning has gone out the window in Modern Warfare 3, you still have a raft of options to customize your guns how you’d like. That includes the new Aftermarket Parts system, which can totally change the way a gun behaves in-game. Some of these, like the Pulemyot 762B Bullpup Conversion Kit, have gone down a storm with players. However, there are few others that have been added recently that haven’t quite taken off. MW3 players bored of Aftermarket Parts already One of the newest, the JAK Signal Burst attachment, allows players to turn the Holger 556 hit in with a four-burst of bullets. However, the new part is creating headaches for players as they’re having trouble with the recoil. “I tried running it with max recoil reduction attachments and it’s still terrible in core,” said one. “Not (good) at all but I tried only that, didn’t bother with attachments. The recoil’s atrocious,” another agreed. “The gun is awful unfortunately. Was hopefully it would be reminiscent the M8,” commented another player. “Virtually all the Aftermarket Parts have been straight dookie. I literally only like them because the 3D-Printed aesthetic is a cool & unique concept that we haven’t seen before in a video game,” said another. It’s not the only Aftermarket Part that has been panned by players recently. The JAK Bullseye Optic was labeled as “pointless” by many who just didn’t understand the difference in that and an iron sight. The devs will continue to add Aftermarket Parts as they keep updating MW3 and Warzone, and hopefully, they become a bit more useful.

MW3 players blast “garbage” BlackCell skins that keep getting worse – Dexerto
MW3 players blast “garbage” BlackCell skins that keep getting worse ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have hit out at the “garbage” BlackCell skins in-game, with some claiming that the quality has been “degrading” over the last few seasons. Like many other multiplayer games, Call of Duty has gotten even deeper into the cosmetics and microtransactions side of things over the last few years. We’ve seen original character skins and blueprint, as well as crossovers with pop culture. The increase in the number of things up for sale has, at items, annoyed players, with many claiming that it takes the devs’ focus away from fixing some of the issues within the game. Each new season also brings the arrival of a new set of BlackCell cosmetics, which have come as part of the premium battle pass since Modern Warfare 2. The more expensive battle pass has annoyed players for having things like skins for grenades, but now fans are annoyed with the quality of the cosmetics getting worse. “Whether you like BlackCell or not, it’s disappointing much it been degrading,” Redditor JoeyAKangaroo complained on the eve of the MW3 and Warzone Season 5 update. They complained that skins have become “black and gold reskins” of other ones that are on offer. That’s an issue that Redditor JayFranMar also picked up on. “Can BlackCell stop with the Black and Gold aesthetic? It’s already overused and ruins a lot of the skins,” they asked. “I’m so glad these skins are always the same lazy s*it. Means I’m never conflicted to buy it,” another added. “It was always garbage. The black and gold s*it looks tacky,” agreed another fan. Other players added that they “wished” there was more variety to the skins, especially when it comes to the black and gold design, urging the devs to use splashes of orange in Black Ops 6. Changes will likely come with a new game, but if you want anything to change in the near future, you’re out of luck.

MW3 players blast “absolutely atrocious” iron sights – Dexerto
MW3 players blast “absolutely atrocious” iron sights ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are hitting out at the game’s “awful” and “absolutely atrocious” iron sights on weapons. Since Modern Warfare 3’s launch, the game has been criticized for various reasons. Recently, players have taken aim at the devs and called for the removal of Riot Shields from the game — claiming they are “way too cheesy” and are “ruining matches.” Others have become increasingly frustrated over the “insanely aggressive” skill-based matchmaking system, making games “overly competitive” and “less enjoyable.” However, players are now hitting out at the game’s “awful” iron sights, claiming it restricts visibility on weapons. MW3 players slam “awful” iron sights In a November 25 Reddit thread, one MW3 player started a discussion surrounding the default iron sights on weapons. “Is it just me or are almost all the iron sights in this game awful?” they wrote. “Every single gun seems to have a ghost ring around the sights [that] block your vision and they are usually very tight making them awkward to see with,” the player explained. They added: “I feel like I use a sight on pretty much every gun, SMGs are normally the gun class where you never need to use a sight but not in this game.” In the replies, many others agreed, with one going as far as to say the iron sights are “absolutely atrocious.” “Honestly first CoD in a long time where I’ve felt sights of some sort are mandatory,” said one. “There are very few MWIII added weapons that have decent iron sights.” “They are absolutely atrocious. The visibility on them is virtually non-existent,” another wrote. “Glad it’s not just me, I’ve had to use an optic on all my weapons just to see straight,” a third player added. It remains to be seen whether or not we’ll see some tweaks to satisfy the community. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated right here on Dexerto.

MW3 players blame content creators for “killing the joy of CoD” – Dexerto
MW3 players blame content creators for “killing the joy of CoD” ActivisionMW3 players are blaming CoD streamers and content creation culture for changing the game, but not for the better. Call of Duty‘s hold on the FPS industry is unmatched, with thousands of content creators spending hours researching tips and tricks for their followers. A quick internet search will provide top results regarding the best loadouts to use in Warzone or the best strategies for the eventual launch of Ranked Play in MW3. It’s been an incredible revolution for CoD content, but it comes with a cost, as some voices are heard more clearly than others. This cost is player joy, at least to some, and they feel this revolution has led to the joy killing of CoD as we know it. MW3 players slam COD content creators In a post shared to the MW3 subreddit, user VOIDofSin voiced displeasure with content creation culture. “I think streamers and content creators killed the joy of CoD,” they said. “Everyone I see is complaining about something and hating on people for using certain weapons or other things that aren’t ‘fair’ in their ‘professional’ opinion.” They went on to explain a list of rising complaints in the community. Of late, some have complained about players “stacking” in Warzone and snipers in the battle royale as well. VOIDofSin went on to add more context, explaining they feel streaming has created a “sense of needing to do good and be good at a game to enjoy it.” As with many “unpopular opinions,” this one wasn’t as unpopular as OP thought it would be. “Streamers that focus on a single game/series usually become its biggest critics and become acutely jaded with a franchise, even if it’s in a good spot at times,” one player explained. “The more people who wanted to become content creators started creating a sweating problem,” another chimed in. Another offered a different point of view: “Personally heavy SBMM or EOMM killed the joy of CoD for me.” For more Call of Duty news, keep it locked to Dexerto.

MW3 players blame CDL pro for ruining Terminal 24/7 playlist – Dexerto
MW3 players blame CDL pro for ruining Terminal 24/7 playlist OpTic TexasMW3 community members celebrated a 24/7 playlist for Terminal, but CDL pro ‘Shotzzy’ inadvertently spoiled the party. OpTic Gaming’s Shotzzy is a dev’s worst nightmare. Every year, the pro somehow finds a way to bend a game to his will. In Black Ops: Cold War, Shotzzy manipulated mantling and jump spots to get a massive movement boost. Then, during the MW2 beta, the talented SMG player single-handedly forced the devs to respond after discovering how to slide cancel even though the feature wasn’t in the game. So, it’s no surprise that Modern Warfare 3 provides the perfect playground for Shotzzy to find head-glitch spots or other secret nooks and crannies. MW2 (2009) maps such as Highrise are infamous for such areas, like the crane or on top of one of the buildings. Sledgehammer Games remastered all 16 classic maps for MW3, but that doesn’t mean age-old exploits aren’t still there. And it just had to be Shotzzy who took advantage of one of the oldest tricks in the book on Terminal. Shotzzy opens Pandora’s box on MW3 Terminal map On November 13, OpTic Texas posted a clip of Shotzzy showing how to reach the roof of Terminal. In the mind-blowing clip, he used a deployable Cover, climbed up, and crawled through a window to reach the spot. From there, Shotzzy took down three enemies and won an SnD round for his team. Coincidently, MW3 added a Terminal 24/7 playlist on November 16. But instead of enjoying one of the most popular maps in the game, players have found themselves struggling to deal with enemies on top of the roof. Players took their frustrations to Reddit and blamed Shotzzy for teaching others how to abuse the spot as well. One community member responded: “The Shotzzy effect.” A second user joked that Sledgehammer Games should subcontract Shotzzy to find all the exploit spots on Modern Warfare 3 for them. Fortuntaley, it’s still possible to shoot back at players that get to the roof. A third player added: “That’s nothing a sniper rifle and some good aim can’t fix. But yeah, that definitely needs to be patched.” It’s unclear if the devs plan to address the glitch, but it would be the perfect time to do so with the 24/ playlist active. MW3 players baffled by game lacking Prestige levels at launch – Dexerto
MW3 players baffled by game lacking Prestige levels at launch ActivisionMuch like the previous four entries, MW3 doesn’t feature a classic Prestige system, and some players are not happy with that design choice. Modern Warfare 2019 marked the next step in Call of Duty’s evolution, as it introduced a shift in Activision and the developers’ post-launch support of a title. Whether it be guns, maps, or modes, each new season brought something new to the game. However, Modern Warfare 2019 also lost the classic identity of CoD as the beloved Prestige system was gutted in favor of a seasonal model. For the unaware, hitting the maximum rank would let you restart your grind with the new cosmetic rewards to grind through. The classic Prestige system has been gone since 2019, and MW3 has no plans of bringing it back. MW3 players upset with lack of Prestige levels at launch The current Prestige model sees the developers add new levels to grind each season. For example, Season 6 of MW2 introduced four more Prestige levels. While that’s fine and dandy for the dedicated fan base, waiting until a new season update for another set of levels to grind through isn’t a good design choice. With the current level cap at 55 in MW3, some players aren’t happy since they’ve already reached that cap. 100 Thieves content creator Sam “Octane” Larew is one of those players, and he took to Twitter/X to voice his dislike of the current level cap. The responses echoed Octane’s feelings, with one user replying: “Legit sad prestige’s need to come back.” “We’re playing an algorithm not a game brother,” another commented. Interestingly enough, his comments reflect the “evolution” CoD’s post-launch support has gone through. For now, all eyes turn towards Season 1, which will arrive sometime in early December. Though Prestige levels will likely be added then, it’s a long wait for MW3’s most dedicated players.

MW3 players are over “garbage” Battle Pass and Blackcell skins – Dexerto
MW3 players are over “garbage” Battle Pass and Blackcell skins ActivisionThe MW3 community is getting fed up with the black and gold style for Operator skins that are released each season. With every new season in MW3, comes a batch of new Operator skins that consistently have an aesthetic predominantly comprising black and gold colors, and the fans are over it. Season 3 is just around the corner and its poised to bring these same kind of skins to the game for players to unlock. People aren’t happy, calling the devs “lazy” as it seems the skins feature little effort in terms of design. The Battle Pass and its Blackcell premium upgrade are being shown all around the MW3 subreddit, and the players are voicing their frustrations in the comments. “The constant black and gold kills any appeal these might have had, completely interchangeable with any of the other 99,999 black and gold skins in the game,” reads one comment. MW3 fans think the skins have begun to blend, with one user going so far as to say that they have “stopped even trying.” Another person compares the style to another popular multiplayer game, saying: “Goofy a** Fortnite skins.” One user jokes that the game should bring in Family Guy characters as well, much like Fortnite did not too long ago. In another post with an overview of the seasonal content, one player says: “Garbage.” Some users, however, are voicing their appreciation for these skins, though not in the way that many would expect: “Another season of not being even remotely tempted to buy the blackcell battlepass. Nice!” Whether or not the MW3 community is happy with it, these skins are poised to come to the game when Season 3 releases.

MW3 players are not happy with the new limited-time game mode – Dexerto
MW3 players are not happy with the new limited-time game mode ActivisionMW3 players are taking to social media to voice their displeasure with the game’s newest limited-time mode. MW3, as with all CoD games, has several events lined up that include new maps, weapons, and even new game modes. Recently, the game released its latest mode, called Vortex, as part of the game’s New Years celebration and ramp up to the release of its Season 1 Reloaded. However, fans are not too keen with the new game mode and are voicing all of their criticisms of it online. MW3 players aren’t fans of the new game mode In a recent post on the game’s subreddit, a player made a very aptly-named post: “Vortex is a terrible mode.” They go into more detail in their post to about their reasoning, saying: “It’s basically FFA, but you don’t get streaks, the ray gun is awful, and you can obtain victory without using the ray gun.” Many of the comments agree with the post, with one user saying they “doubt” they will be returning to play the game mode anytime soon. Another player made their disappointment clear: “I tried this mode and thought for sure the Ray Gun would have more of an impact on winning. It does not.” The game mode operates similarly to Free-For-All, but there is always a player with a Ray Gun, a popular weapon from previous CoD games. If a person kill the person with the Ray Gun, then they get the Ray Gun themselves. The issue that many members of the community are having is that the Ray Gun, which has been known to be a highly-powerful weapon, doesn’t feel powerful enough to make it anything special. As one player sums it up: “I’m like ok. Man with the ray gun. I know this mode. Nope just free for all, and if you get lucky you kill the person with the ray gun and it’s terrible.” Fortunately for the critics, the game mode is one of many and won’t be in the MW3 rotation for much longer.

MW3 players are getting banned despite not cheating – Dexerto
MW3 players are getting banned despite not cheating ActivisionSome MW3 players are reporting getting banned from different game modes, despite never having cheated or exploited the game. Cheating, hacking, and exploiting has been rampant in Call of Duty games for years, and the same continues in MW3. Now, players are reporting that they’ve received bans out of nowhere, despite never doing anything to deserve it. These players are left unable to play certain modes when they didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. MW3 players have been shadowbanned without warning In a post on the game’s subreddit, a user shared a clip of themselves playing Warzone. Near the end of the clip, in the middle of the action, they were kicked out of the game. Their caption reads: “Shadowbanned mid warzone game, kicked out, and now I can’t find a game except in multiplayer where I am against actual hackers.” Many players have responded to the clip to lament how unsurprised they are by this occurrence, with one user saying: “Welcome to Warzone where you get banned for being better than everyone else and actual hackers get away with hacking Scott-free.” A lot of them blame the poster getting reported by another player, who thinks they’re cheating when they’re not. Other players accused the poster of actually cheating, with one user telling them, “Detach that extra equipment from your controller next time.” However, these comments are being shut down, as the clip clearly shows the person is playing on PC with mouse and keyboard, therefore not breaking any rules. Much of the community is blaming Activision for allowing this to happen in MW3, while there is still rampant, actual hacking going on throughout the game.

MW3 players are already pitching other MW2 maps that should return – Dexerto
MW3 players are already pitching other MW2 maps that should return ActivisionMW3’s varied map pool from previous entries has fans brainstorming which they’d love to see come back, including some from the early days of CoD. Part of the big marketing push around MW3 was the return of all 16 of 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 iconic maps, mightily updated to match the current generation of hardware. On the other hand, another big marketing push was the Carry Forward system, letting players bring their cosmetics and weapons from MW2 to the latest game. This concept also applies to the map pool, as a separate playlist lets players compete on last year’s maps in MW3. With this season seeing the return of Dome, CoD players are hopeful the developers will bring back classic maps across CoD’s portfolio. CoD players want these maps to return in future MW3 seasons In a post shared to the game’s subreddit, one player kicked off the discussion with a priority plea the developers bring back DRC – Zone 1 from 2022’s MW2. “In my opinion, this was the best original MWII map that should come back if they’re already re-adding Farm 18, Las Almas, etc,” the player followed up with. DRC – Zone 1 debuted in Season 5 of MW2, as a smaller arena near DMZ’s Building 21. With the number of camos and challenges to grind through, another small map certainly would be welcomed for those who are grinding away. Another player shared their love for the map: “This was too late in the season to get the love it deserved. Fast-paced and well-designed map. 9/10.” However, as with any discussion of this nature, player ideas ran wild with what they’d love to see. In response to one player asking for all the OG maps to return, a player said: “F**k it. Just give us ALL the maps. CoD 1 to MW3.” Other ideas were a little more grounded, with players saying they’d love to see maps from 2019 MW like Hackney Yard. Conversely, a few players wanted maps from the original MW3, which this game is devoid of, aside from Dome, which many associate with last year’s title.

MW3 players admit OG MW2 maps have lost their nostalgia factor – Dexerto
MW3 players admit OG MW2 maps have lost their nostalgia factor ActivisionMW2’s OG maps have lost their nostalgia grip on the player base, with players sharing their growing dislike of MW3’s map pool. Headed into MW3, much of the hype was centered on undoing design choices the rebooted Modern Warfare series created. The fact that players could experience a more arcade style of CoD on all 16 of the maps from 2009’s MW2 was just the icing on the cake. Yet shortly after MW3’s arrival, the maps faced immense criticism from all angles, as they haven’t held up as much as many had hoped. For example, Rust was blasted for being a “piece of sh*t map,” although the constant spawn issues probably factored into their hatred. As the months have passed, players have come to acknowledge the nostalgia tied to 2009’s map pool has severely died down. “After putting a considerable amount of time into the MP this year, I can definitively say that the nostalgia for the OG MW2 maps has worn off,” MW3 player Ic3nfir3 shared to Reddit. Before sharing hype for Black Ops 6, they continued: “Outside of a small few, I dislike the majority of the maps that I used to enjoy.” As mentioned, spawn logic like Rust’s noticeably soured the community’s reception of these maps. Many comments reflected that, with “absurd spawn traps,” one key complaint that has seemingly gone unaddressed. On the other hand, many were quick to acknowledge the flow of MW3 is different than it was compared to 2009. With Tac Sprinting and increased movement options, the tempo is incredibly fast, forcing players to use different playstyles. “I think the movement really changed the flow of the maps. You’re able to mantle into so many places that create shortcuts,” one player said, while another added that 2009’s formula doesn’t match the “modern dumpster fire version of CoD.” That said, Black Ops 6 is on the horizon, meaning fans will have a new map pool to experience.

MW3 players accuse devs of “lying” about changing inappropriate skin – Dexerto
MW3 players accuse devs of “lying” about changing inappropriate skin ActivisionThe MW3 devs claim that one of the game’s most unique weapon skins was a glitch, and have implemented a fix to change that. Among all the weapon skins in MW3, the Incision for the Renetti quickly got the attention of the players due to its bizarre design that bordered on being inappropriate. It quickly became something of a fan-favorite, but the devs have now rolled out a change to the look of the gun, changing it completely and saying that the original look was a result of a bug. This does not sit well with the community who like the original look more and aren’t buying the excuse of it being some kind of glitch. MW3 fan are calling devs’ bluff on inappropriate skin While the change to the skin could have gone under the radar, the MW3 fans on the subreddit were quick to notice that the skin had been altered. And the response has not been very positive, as the player who mentions the change says: “RIP to our beautiful(?) boy.” It seems that the phallic look of the original skin struck some kind of cord with many fans, as one says: “That’s a shame, despite the jokes, it is legitimately an interesting blueprint.” However, what bothers many MW3 users the most is that the devs are claiming that the skin was the result of a bug, which they aren’t buying at all: “Wait, the patch note says it was not appearing as intended and is fixed, I thought it was just some graphic glitches. Never knew they changed it to another completely different look. Original can’t be just a result of unintentional glitch, right? It had to be an excuse to change a consciously-made design.” Many point out that the new design is much less distinguishing than other skins in the game, which they feel is boring. Another points out that the name Incision doesn’t make sense now for the new look. “Incision” makes no sense as a name for the new design… Meanwhile, the other two guns with the purple theme have names connected to their look (Crocus is the name of a purple flower, Hands On has a big purple handprint on it).” While the change may seem like a small, inconsequential adjustment, it clearly meant more to MW3 players than originally anticipated.

MW3 player tragically dies to their own killstreak just shy of a nuke – Dexerto
MW3 player tragically dies to their own killstreak just shy of a nuke ActivisionAn MW3 player shares a clip of a monumental mistake they made after going on a ridiculous killstreak, with their own killstreak working against them. It’s not an easy thing to go on a massive killing streak in MW3 and it takes a lot of luck to make it happen in the first place. Many players spend a lot of time trying to get to that 30-kill nuke and when everything is going right for them, it can help lead them to that prized 30-kill Nuke reward. However, a player has shared a clip where everything was going right for them in a match, but their own mistake ended everything. MW3 player gets friendly fired by their own killstreak The clip was shared on the MW3 subreddit with a warning title: “I’ve learned the hard way: don’t rush people when you are on a 21-kill streak and your swarm killstreak is up.” The gameplay shows the player popping off in a match on the Greece map, with the player sprinting around and taking out just about every enemy they come across with ease. But it all comes crashing down when they get too aggressive, pushing on an enemy, only to be blown up by their own Mosquito Drone killstreak that they activated. Despite the tragic, yet hilarious, end to the clip, most of the comments are complimentary of the players’ abilities, with one user saying, “You got great aim bro! Love seeing MNK players on here.” Unfortunately, not every response was positive, and there were a large amount of cheating accusations for how easily they were getting kills in the clip. “Bro is ice skating at like 3x sprint speed and everyone is like, ‘How could this be cheating?’” Most of these accusations take issue with how the opponents in the lobby don’t seem to react to the player at all, leading many people to believe they have reverse boosted their lobby. Reverse boosting is when a player intentionally tanks their rank in a game by purposefully playing poorly for a few games, so that the game will put them in a low-skill match where they can dominate. It is odd that the majority of the discourse around the clip is focused on the player’s moves, rather than the untimely death they experience at the end.

MW3 player suffers jump scare of a lifetime – Dexerto
MW3 player suffers jump scare of a lifetime ActivisionCall of Duty has its fair share of jump scares, and one player absolutely goes crazy after a scary MW3 moment. Call of Duty is known for many things over the years, with one unexplained phenomenon plaguing the FPS franchise known as “CoD timing.” For the unaware, “CoD timing” is exactly what it may sound like – a scenario where you hold an angle or a position for an eternity, you look away for a brief second, and then an opponent comes into view. It’s been studied for decades, yet there’s an explanation behind the madness. MW3 is here and proudly bears the weight of the “CoD timing” legacy, as one player suffered from a horrific experience. MW3 player opens every in-game menu after a jump scare As shared to the MW3 Reddit, user Moorabbel was in a match of Free-For-All on Quarry when the events took a wild turn. Moorabbel held a position in the back of the map, with gunfire, tactical equipment, and footsteps around them. Carefully relocating, they fired a few shots at an opposing player who managed to get away. As they moved back to their original position, out of nowhere, a dark figure appeared and knifed them. The act scared the lights out of Moorabbel, who proceeded to open every menu possible mid-match. Despite the original poster suffering immensely, the Reddit community found the events comical, as one user simply replied: “Funniest thing I’ve seen today.” During the MW3 beta, there was a bug that would randomly open the menu and change your loadout. A few of the replies thought this same bug happened here, but others mentioned it was just a moment of sheer panic. Call of Duty isn’t a horror game, but “CoD timing” makes it slightly scarier at the worst times. Modern Warfare 3 is out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

MW3 player shows off “worst spawn experience” ever in Hardcore FFA – Dexerto
MW3 player shows off “worst spawn experience” ever in Hardcore FFA ActivisionSpawns in Call of Duty are never perfect, and one MW3 player has had enough after they revealed their experience of an unfortunate sequence of events in their Hardcore Free-For-All match. MW3 is the latest CoD title to release, headlined by the return of 2009’s Modern Warfare 2’s gallery of legendary maps. Players, new and old, get to battle on iconic maps such as Highrise, Rust, Terminal, and much more. It hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine, as MW3’s spawn system has been a topic of immense criticism, with pro COD players feeling it had the worst spawns in the game’s history. The developers worked on them between the beta’s end and the game’s launch, but the issue reappeared even worse than before. Spawns will never be perfect in a CoD title, and it’s even worse on smaller maps, as one player demonstrated why many avoid Hardcore matches on small maps. MW3 player has the “worst luck” in a match of Hardcore FFA In a match of Hardcore FFA, Reddit user ButtonMajor7328 had the lead in their match. After an unseen death, they hopped back in, ready to secure the win, until the game decided it was time for them to lose. In a short clip, ButtonMajor7328 showed off what has to be the worst luck in CoD history as they proceeded to spawn and die for 25 seconds. What made matters worse was that nothing could be done to fight out of spawn, as they died by random bullets and grenades, on this twisted tour of Scrapyard. It’s a horrific sight to see, and one Reddit user commented “After the third death, I would’ve simply left the game.” However, ButtonMajor7328 replied: “I thought I could still turn it around. Didn’t expect to die 8 times though.” Another stated: “Skill Based Spawn System,” with the keyphrase “Skill Based” a hot topic of debate in the community. This video certainly didn’t do any favors either, as having victory snatched from your hands feels like a setup. Overall, spawns will never be great in smaller maps, let alone in a Hardcore playlist. Our hats are tipped off to ButtonMajor for remaining calm during this vicious cycle.

MW3 player shows off absurd & frustrating Modern Warfare 3 spawn bug – Dexerto
MW3 player shows off absurd & frustrating Modern Warfare 3 spawn bug ActivisionMW3 is receiving a ton of praise in many areas, but the spawn logic is extremely rough, as shared by one player. MW3’s beta received a ton of praise from players as fans loved the return of 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 maps with new gameplay improvements. It wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine, though, as the beta was plagued with terrible spawn logic. Since the end of the beta, Sledgehammer had a few weeks to clean up the spawn system. Initial impressions were good until players discovered how broken Quarry, Terminal, and Scrapyard were, forcing Sledgehammer to temporarily remove them. While frustrating spawns can ruin the game, it hasn’t completely ruined the fun yet. MW3 player repeatedly spawns in a vehicle MW3 player Sweeten16 shared their experience with the spawn system. In a short clip, Sweeten16 lost their fight and respawned in the corner of Underpass. What happens next is tragic yet hilarious. Their character spawns in a vehicle and then dies. It’s definitely strange to see this, but then it happens five more times after the initial accident making this a special case. It gets even wilder as another player joins the spawning madness and dies repeatedly. Eventually, the issue sorted itself out before Sweeten16 got a chance to quit the match. While the player was upset, others found this experience to be quite funny. One viewer replied: “sorry it happened to you but this is funny as hell lmao.” Another jested this would balance the player’s next matches: “On the bright side, the SBMM is gonna be much more relaxed on you.” Others lamented that Sledgehammer should’ve used the same logic from the original MW3. However, there’s zero chance that would work, as a player said: “The old spawn system and these maps break when people can cross the entire map in seconds which is why I doubt the spawns will ever be fixed in this game.” Sledgehammer is aware of the wonky spawns in MW3, so expect fixes and updates to come soon. For now, be wary of the car in Underpass, as it’ll magically draw you into a vicious spawn cycle.

MW3 player shows how “OP” aim assist is by never touching the right stick – Dexerto
MW3 player shows how “OP” aim assist is by never touching the right stick Call of DutyAn MW3 player has posted a clip showing their character tracking an enemy to get a kill without ever touching their right stick. Aim assist is becoming a hot topic in the world of competitive online shooters, with just about every community debating about its value. While many players are fine with having aim assist in their games, the matter is now becoming about how strong they want the aim assist to be. Now, an MW3 player has posted a clip online to show their opinion that the game has an overpowered aim assist. MW3 player has posted a clip to show “OP” aim assist by not using right stick The clip was posted to the MW3 subreddit with a sarcastic title of, “Aim assist isn’t overpowered.” In the clip, we see both the gameplay, as well as a camera angle of the players’ hands holding the controller. In the game, we see an enemy come running around the corner and the player tracking their movement, while shooting until the opposition is killed. The focus of the clip, though, is that during this entire thing, the player never touches their right stick, which is used to aim on controllers. The comments in the post are very much in agreement with the poster, with many people explaining how its strength has even ruined aim assist in other games for them: “The aim assist in COD is so strong that people get used to it, then play other console shooters that have no aim assist and say that ‘the aiming feels weird/bad/off,’ when in reality, they’re just remembering what their aim is actually like.” However, some players are countering this argument. One user responded to the clip by saying, “Lmao this guy in the video probably spent 30-60 plus minutes trying to pull off this example.” The debate about aim assist in MW3 isn’t going anywhere as the conversation continues across nearly every competitive game.

MW3 player left speechless by opponent’s “cracked out” bullet-dodging skills – Dexerto
MW3 player left speechless by opponent’s “cracked out” bullet-dodging skills ActivisionA Modern Warfare 3 player has been left completely speechless after encountering a “cracked out” bullet-dodging wizard in their lobby. Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer has been highly praised by critics and players alike, who have suggested it’s one of the best versions of Call of Duty online in quite some time. Yet, the game is still under fire for a variety of reasons, arguably none more so than the skill-based matchmaking (SBMM), which appears to be severely impacting player’s experiences. One perfect example of the skill gap that can exist in Call of Duty lobbies, however, was perfectly captured by a Modern Warfare 3 player who ran into the “most cracked out” they’ve ever seen. The player took to Reddit’s Modern Warfare 3 community to share gameplay footage of the encounter with the caption, “He literally was evading and juking my bullets. Most cracked out player I’ve seen so far.” And the clip certainly lives up to expectations. The player can be seen retreating into a corner while the “cracked out” opponent runs around in circles and perfectly dodges all of the bullet spray. It’s a hilarious mismatch between a player with seemingly elite movement skills and someone who’s simply no match. Players in the comments section immediately commented on the skill gap, stating that the opponent, who seemingly belongs in an SBMM final boss lobby may have reverse boosted to play against lower-skilled opponents. “Looks like a reverse booster tbh you try this against any half-decent player and it will be no different than reverse boosting,” a player shared. Another, far more critical said, “Kid is cracked but you are also terrible.” Others, more fascinated with the movement itself, asked how it was even possible to move like that. To which one player replied, suggesting that it’s far easier to do on PC with a mouse and keyboard, rather than merely using a controller. “Auto tac sprint, lot of sliding, holding forward, and WHIPPING your mouse around like a f***ing maniac. A gun with fast movement speed helps a ton. Idk how it would work on controller,” they shared. Make sure to check out our Modern Warfare 3 guides if you, too, want to become a “cracked out” Call of Duty player.

MW3 player is fed up with “revenge spawns” after crazy clip – Dexerto
MW3 player is fed up with “revenge spawns” after crazy clip Call of DutyAn MW3 has shown their frustration with “revenge spawns” in the after posting an insane clip of their match. Revenge spawns have become something of a sore spot for many MW3 players, as they believe the game is suffering as a result of them. These kinds of respawns occur when a player is killed by another, and then immediately respawns next to or behind the one who killed them. Now, an MW3 player has offered up a clip to prove they exist and express how annoyed they are with their place in the game. MW3 player has shown their anger over “revenge spawns” in a wild clip Posted to the game’s subreddit, the clip came with a bitingly sarcastic title of: “Revenge spawns aren’t real, uh huh.” The clip itself shows the player being taken by surprise by an enemy inside a building on the game’s Afghan map. However, once they respawn, they are placed immediately in that same building – behind the enemy, who they are able to take out. Many of the responses to the clip have been in agreement with the frustration, with one player saying, “This game is so dumb.” Another player joined in by commenting: “Spawns in this game are so broken.” However, there are some players who aren’t as upset about these spawns as others are. In fact, one user shared how the spawn system has helped them enjoy the game more: “This game is so broken lol it made it so easy to ngaf about my kd and just have fun dicking around.” Another commenter believes that the clip being shared is just the player cherry-picking a situation to help their argument: “Forgetting all the thousands of times where revenge spawns don’t happen and hyper-focusing on a handful of times where the spawn system just messed up.” This argument is not specific to MW3, or even the Call of Duty series. There will always be debates about spawns in any online multiplayer game.

MW3 player is baffled at Cruise Missile trajectory – Dexerto
MW3 player is baffled at Cruise Missile trajectory ActivisionMW3’s Cruise Missile can be very hit or miss, and one clip hilariously showcased the duality of the Killstreak. An important pillar of Call of Duty’s explosive multiplayer portion is the Kill/Scorestreak system: a means to reward players for playing the objective or dominating the opposition. From donning the Juggernaut suit to calling in a UAV for enemy intel gathering, MW3 upholds the series’ standard with a full slate of rewards to use. However, not every Killstreak is created equally, with some leaving room for improvement. Look no further than the Cruise Missile and a clip a player shared showing off how much of a pain it can be. MW3 player dodges a Cruise Missile in the luckiest way possible In recent CoD entries, the Cruise Missile has proven to be hit or miss, as even the slightest adjustment will send it off the map. In a match on Wasteland, an enemy Cruise Missile was called in, all but guaranteeing MW3 player Lewserlewkus‘s death. As they watched the casing fall off, they looked up as the missile rapidly approached them. Yet, in a wild turn of events, the Cruise Missile made a J-shaped curve and completely missed the player. Lewserlewkus could only look and stand in disbelief as they escaped death. As hard as it’s gotten to control, some players have actually managed to master the Cruise Missile. “Throwback to MW19 when people were curving this sh*t through buildings,” a player said, to which another replied with an absurd quad feed. Some of the replies blamed the original poster’s use of the Gaia skin for the reason why they escaped. “Definitely didn’t see you because you’re in the Gaia(Groot) skin,” a player commented. Gaia skin or not, the original poster did share advice on how to be like them: “I took Drax’s advice and stood still so I wouldn’t be seen lol.” You can check out our coverage here for more MW3 stories.

MW3 player invents killstreak combo that creates a Juggernaut on wheels – Dexerto
MW3 player invents killstreak combo that creates a Juggernaut on wheels ActivisionMW3’s Juggernaut is a powerful entity, but incredibly slow. However, one team-up with a Wheelson makes it a nightmare to deal with. Much like previous entries, Call of Duty‘s multiplayer continues to deliver explosive and nonstop action. At the top of that action is the Killstreak/Scorestreak system, a way to reward players who dominate the battlefield. The Killstreak/Scorestreak system isn’t new by any means, and this year’s suite of streaks is rather impressive. Of note, the Juggernaut returns and continues to wreak havoc on lobbies with its massive minigun and soothing rock music. One MW3 player managed to snag a Juggernaut and created a neat way to crush the opposition. MW3 player combines a Juggernaut and a Wheelson to epic success One thing about the Juggernaut is it’s painfully slow. Granted, wearing a large suit of armor and lugging around a minigun should do that, but it’s still a slow burn as you mow down enemies. One MW3 player grabbed a Juggernaut out of a Care Package, and at the same time, their teammate earned a Wheelson form one as well. They immediately coordinated a plan of attack, which involved the Juggernaut hopping on the mobile tank for a ride. Together, the duo rode around and rained fire on the C flag. The Jugg managed to get a few kills before being taken down, but the chuckles and good time last flooded the chat. Care Package RNG like these two players received is hard to come by, but when it works, it’s a blast like no other as shown in the clip. The only thing that could’ve made this even greater is if the Recon variant was involved. MW3 is out now, and is currently in its first season of content, introducing four new multiplayer maps, MW3’s integration to Warzone, and much more.

MW3 player has teammates call them a “cheater” after dropping a Nuke – Dexerto
MW3 player has teammates call them a “cheater” after dropping a Nuke ActivisionAn MW3 player may have accidentally told on themselves for cheating after posting a clip of them earning a nuke and getting flamed by their team. MW3 has certainly had its fair share of issues with cheating, hacking, and exploits that has been a sore spot for many players. Because of this, the community, as a whole, has become somewhat quick to call out people for cheating if they are suspicious of their play. But it looks like this accusation is accurate after an MW3 fan accidentally put a target on their back after posting a clip of getting a nuke. MW3 fans call out possible cheater after nuke clip The issue came up on the MW3 subreddit, where the accused cheater shares a clip of them getting a nuke in a match, asking: “Why is teammate cursing me out for dropping a nuke?” The clip they share shows them calling this nuke in to end the match, resulting in their teammate having some choice words for them in the post-game lobby. There are even some other players who get in on the complaints near the end. While the poster is asking the community what could be prompting the negativity, the responses don’t go as they probably thought they would. While there are plenty of players who just say it’s because they didn’t play objective, there are a lot of MW3 members who claim it’s much more than that. “Cause you’re a cheater?” The poster’s K/D for the match comes in at 105/5, on a Hardcore match on Shipment. This combination tips a lot of people off right away. “Bro, you QUADRUPLED the enemy teams top fragger. Yeah, I’d call you out for cheating too.” The evidence becomes even worse for the person after another user goes through their post history to find some pretty clear evidence that is going against them: “… admits to having a modded controller, 5 deaths on HARDCORE shipment, and previously shadow banned by your own post history, and on PC, probably cheating?” To go along with this, the player even comments that they were shadowbanned for the incident, which not many players express sympathy for. Of course, nothing is confirmed in terms of if this MW3 player is cheating, but the community clearly seems to think so.

MW3 player flabbergasted after getting shot in the gun kills him – Dexerto
MW3 player flabbergasted after getting shot in the gun kills him ActivisionAn MW3 player is in shock after experiencing a death brought on by his gun being part of his character’s hitbox. Hitboxes can be a little wonky in multiplayer games, and MW3 has seen its fair share of issues with them. Things like network connectivity and lag and really impact how a hitbox behaves and can make for a confusing interaction between players. But a truly surprising situation has been shared online where a player’s gun being a part of their hitbox led to their shocking death. MW3 player in shock at tip of gun being in hitbox The clip was shared on the MW3 subreddit, where the player asks the question: “So guns are a part of hit boxes now?” The clip shows their character crouching behind cover and suddenly getting killed in an instant. The enemy’s killcam shows that their killer saw their gun poking out from cover, and decided to shoot it, resulting in their death. The entire event is being both praised for its humor, and railed against it for being in the game by the community. One user responded by saying, “What’s even funnier about this is the enemy who saw just the gun barrel and thought to try shooting it lol.” It turns out that this is not an isolated incident, as others have come forward to share their own similar situations. “I thought this was common knowledge. I do it often,” says one MW3 player in the comments. Other users are pointing out that this kind of situation is another entry in a long list of issues that the game has. “Doesn’t surprise me, since MWII these games have been plagued with bugs. Idk how these two games have more bugs than their predecessor MW2019?” The MW3 community has not held back in their criticisms of the game and will continue to voice their issues online and elsewhere.

MW3 player finds ingenious way to farm annoying camo challenge – Dexerto
MW3 player finds ingenious way to farm annoying camo challenge ActivisionMW3’s camo grind isn’t as hard as it used to be, but some challenges do prove a problem. One player figured out a smart way to farm penetration kills after a legacy map returned. Over the years, Call of Duty‘s camo system has evolved, challenging the truly dedicated gamers to grind the system. What used to require headshots only now requires random gameplay elements to achieve, such as kills while stunned and much more. Modern Warfare 3 is no different, with a bevy of neat challenges to complete. Some have made the new system look simple, with players earning Interstellar in record time. On the other hand, other players have struggled a bit. That is until one player found a way to achieve their goal. MW3 player discovers unique way to complete camo challenge As mentioned, some challenges are standard fair, such as getting kills or headshots. Others require more pizzazz, such as getting penetration kills. The latter set of challenges is easier said than done, as it may require the stars to align to get enough penetration kills, let alone ten kills. However, Shipment’s arrival has seemingly made this challenge child’s play. MW3 player Jonnyvue shared that the containers on Shipment are nearly paper thin, as they mowed down opposition in Hardcore Kill Confirmed. If you’ve hopped in Shipment before, you know this video is lore accurate to the map, especially after recent entries have thrown a proper spawn system out the window. “The ending made me cough, such a perfect ending to the whole thing,” one player replied, as Jonnyvue died to an RPG. Shipment is a map of chaos, and going in, you have to be aware it’s a nightmare compared to your conventional maps. The tradeoff is you can grind through the game in a matter of matches, as Shipment serves your best chance to unlock everything you need. Hop into Shipment to grind MW3’s camo challenges before Sledgehammer Games becomes aware and patches the holes in the walls.

MW3 player discovers secret “flashbang counter” with bugged Renetti AMP – Dexerto
MW3 player discovers secret “flashbang counter” with bugged Renetti AMP ActivisionMW3’s Aftermarket Parts continue to cause issues in-game, with this player finding a new flashbang counter mechanic while using the Renetti’s AMP. With MW3, Sledgehammer Games introduced a new attachment feature for certain weapons called Aftermarket Parts(AMP). These parts can drastically alter the way a weapon works. For example, the JAK Raven Kit for the MCW turns it into a close-range monstrosity. The concept adds flavor to weapons that may not have been “meta-worthy,” provided they function properly in-game. Over the past few weeks, players have had issues with the new system, with the rewards either not issued correctly or other problems deeming them unusable. Another bug has surfaced involving the Renetti AMP, with this one providing a “useful” countermeasure to in-game flashes. MW3 player discovers Renetti face palm animation Posted in the ModernWarfareIII Reddit thread, djml9 discovered a unique bug after equipping the Renetti with its Aftermarket Part and the Battle Pass Heatstroke blueprint. In a game of Hardcore Kill Confirmed, they secured a kill before their character suddenly covered their eyes. The player shared how to recreate this animation, although they warned it’s a matter of standing in the right direction. It seems not many players have seen this bug, with replies questioning what they viewed. “Wtf is this bug,” one replied, while another said: “How can it even be possible to have such bugs?” Another comment made light of the situation: “It could be an insane trickshot.” Lobbies everywhere would love a real facepalm moment. With Ranked Play coming in Season 1 Reloaded, one player shared a bit of foreshadowing: “That’s the facepalm my operator will do every time I miss shots in ranked next week.” With Season 1 Reloaded right around the corner, hopefully, a fix for this will make its way into the game.

MW3 player discovers genius shortcut for Launcher camo challenges – Dexerto
MW3 player discovers genius shortcut for Launcher camo challenges ActivisionNot all camo challenges are created equal in MW3, and some like the equipment destruction challenges for launchers can be an absolute pain to complete. Fortunately, one MW3 player came up with a solution that lets you grind out the challenge in record time. While there are those who managed to complete all the weapon camo challenges just days after MW3’s launch, for many, getting every gun Golden to get your hands on the Interstellar camo is a massive undertaking. There are some camo challenges that are easier than others. Weapon kills you’ll just get over time. Stuff like headshots and prone kills aren’t too bad, but then there are the really annoying ones like destroying equipment with Launchers. If the enemy isn’t throwing equipment out there, you’ve got nothing to destroy. However, a Modern Warfare 3 player has discovered that the game isn’t too picky about which equipment you’re destroying in what is one of the most straightforward camo challenge workarounds in MW3. MW3 player discovers Launcher camo challenge shortcut The most difficult camo challenges to complete are always those that rely on the enemy doing something in particular to complete them. It’s sort of a waiting game of figuring out when you can do the challenge. In the case of the Launcher camo challenge for destroying equipment, however, Reddit user TheBlueAngel discovered that there’s a deceptively simple way to get through this challenge. By simply throwing out your own equipment and destroying it, players can grind through the Launcher camo challenge by destroying it with your Launcher of choice equipped. It really is that easy. OP recommends using the Engineer vest to get your hands on a munitions box, one of the fastest recharging field upgrades, but this would work on any of your own equipment as long as it gets hit with a Launcher. At the time of writing, this exploit is still possible to complete. If you’re on the grind to Interstellar and Launchers are standing in your way, knock out these camo challenges while you can.

MW3 player defends Armory System against critics who “run past the objective” – Dexerto
MW3 player defends Armory System against critics who “run past the objective” ActivisionMW3’s Armory System has caught huge flack, but one player argues it’s the fault of those who don’t play the objective. Modern Warfare 3 is here, and while player sentiment seems to be positive on the multiplayer portion of the package, the Armory System has been a heated topic of discussion. MW3 features two forms of player progression to unlock in-game equipment: the conventional method of leveling up and the new Armory System. The latter disguised itself as a new way to unlock equipment however players wanted until they discovered a good portion of the content was trapped behind excessive challenges. Players have been up in arms over the Armory System, yet one player argues the problem is on the community. MW3 player calls out Armory System critics The gist of the Armory System is that players can unlock equipment, such as guns, killstreaks, and perks, by completing a certain amount of Daily Challenges. You’ll earn points that go towards unlocking something; for example, Ghost T/V Camo requires three points to unlock. The problem arises with the amount of Daily Challenges distributed, as there are only three per day, and some unlocks require more than three. If you complete the three dailies, a fourth will unlock, tasking you to win a game. This fourth daily is where the community has drawn the line, as claims of SBMM make it nearly impossible for some to win. After plenty of posts flooded the game’s Reddit, MW3 player poobear7 took a stance against the critics and blamed those who don’t play the objective as to why said Daily Challenge is so hard to complete. Not everyone was a fan of this blanket post, as one player chimed in: “And then you have me with 18 captures and still losing,” with others agreeing. It didn’t stop there, as Poobear7 went on: “Everyone seems to forget that back in the “golden days” of CoD that is spoken so highly of you had to put in some work to unlock things, (i.e: Extended Mags, Heartbeat Sensor, Thermal Scope, Pro Perks in MW2009, grind CoDpoints for literally EVERYTHING in BO1).” While their last point is true, one player perfectly summed up the bigger picture: “Yet the fundamental problem with the armory system is that in all previous games, you unlock content easily by leveling up. Now, the basic things like perks and kill streaks are locked behind something requiring randoms to play for the win too.” Sledgehammer has remained quiet on the Armory System for now, so stay tuned for news on any changes.

MW3 player causes community uproar after encountering “invisible cheater” – Dexerto
MW3 player causes community uproar after encountering “invisible cheater” ActivisionAn “invisible cheater” controversy has split Modern Warfare 3 fans after Activision sources confirmed clips showing a streamer turn invisible were the result of a bug and not related to the game’s anti-cheat software, RICOCHET. Cheaters have been a huge problem in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for years now. Activision says they’ve taken action against thousands of accounts involved with using cheats, but the problem still persists. But, in the latest twist to the MW3 cheating controversy, a clip of streamer DougisRaw being killed by an invisible player seemingly shows RICOCHET and its cloaking feature in action. Leading many to conclude DougisRaw had been flagged by the system for using cheats. However, it seems anti-cheat wasn’t to blame for the streamer’s death to an invisible foe. According to a post from gaming news website Charlie Intel, Activision sources confirmed to their reporter this was not a RICOCHET issue. According to their source, the footage in the clip was the result of a bug in the Gulag map and a fix would be provided soon. This was corroborated by prominent Call of Duty streamer, DougDagnabbit. Posting on their ModernWarzone account that a separate Activision source had passed the same information onto them. But the statements from anonymous Activision sources were not enough to convince everyone. Instead, the community became split over whether the clip of DougisRaw was the result of a bug, or evidence of the streamer using cheats. “It’s funny it’s a bug when it’s a big streamer. You guys are pathetic, he got caught cheating it’s simple,” one user argued. Some users also pointed to a previous VAC ban on DougisRaw’s account as evidence to back up this point of view. While other users demanded to know who the Activision sources were. Some users just seemed angry and confused. “You big streamers just defend each other,” one user posted in response to the tweet from Charlie Intel. “Facts, like who is this guy to say he has sources like this?!? Aren’t his sources just other biased, cheating streamers?” agreed another, mistakenly assuming the social media account belonged to a streamer. Still, some fans were convinced, and said they would stand by DougisRaw in the wake of the controversy.

MW3 pistol dominates with “crazy” TTK in Warzone but there’s a catch – Dexerto
MW3 pistol dominates with “crazy” TTK in Warzone but there’s a catch ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has highlighted a Modern Warfare 3 pistol with a “crazy” TTK that matches the pre-nerf Renetti now that the sidearm has finally been tweaked. Over the last few weeks, it’s been impossible to play a game of Warzone without running into someone who was using the Renetti pistols. The sidearm had such a broken TTK that it was outgunning some of the best SMGs in the game. Well, the Warzone devs finally rectified things on April 10, rolling out an update to nerf the Renetti and brought its TTK back down to earth. As a result, players have been trying to find alternatives, and Warzone guru WhosImmortal has another handgun that matches the TTK of the Renetti before it was nerfed, but it does come with a bit of an asterisk. The weapon in question? Well, that would be the WSP Stinger, and that asterisk? That would be the fact you have to run it in an Akimbo loadout. “The WSP Stinger, especially when you add the Akimbo attachment on it, kind of goes crazy. In the close range, up to about 17 meters – which is about the max where you’d be using an Akimbo weapon anyways – the WSP Stinger Akimbo can actually be really, really close to that Renetti TTK,” the YouTuber said, noting that the Akimbo setup means you are “gambling” on accuracy. “Using an Akimbo, even when we max out accuracy, you’re not going to hit every shot like you would if you were simply ADS’ing a weapon. So, while this TTK on paper is super, super close, it is going to be a lot more of a gamble.” Barrel: Pestilence-12 short – Laser: XTEN Sidearm-L400 – Ammunition: 9mm Hollowpoint – Magazine: 32 round mag – Rear Grip: Akimbo WSP Stinger – Timestamp of 2:45 WhosImmortal also noted that the COR-45 – which recently got some shine from fellow Warzone expert IceManIsaac – could be another viable option with its conversion kit. However, sidearms are still being overlooked in favor of loadouts that include Overkill, so that players can run two primary weapons. Yet, the pistols are clearly packing a massive punch, so they’re worth using.

MW3 phenom speedruns every gun camo challenge in just three days – Dexerto
MW3 phenom speedruns every gun camo challenge in just three days ActivisionTwitch partner, Reidboy, continues his impressive streak of unlocking in-game camos, this time earning all of the MW3 camos in three days. Despite the short turnaround Sledgehammer Games had to make MW3, the team managed to fill the multiplayer portion to the brim with content. All sixteen maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 populate MW3, and over a hundred weapons offer a limitless experience to explore. Speaking of weapons, Call of Duty’s unsung hero arguably is its camo system, rewarding players who grind the expansive armory with unique customization options. This title is no different, with the grind rewarding players who master all 37 weapons. Despite the game being playable for a few days, one player has claimed the crown of the world’s first to Interstellar, the highest camo honors in MW3. Reidboy claims world’s first to unlock Interstellar camo in MW3 Shared to his Twitter/X account, Reidboy showed the world his astounding feat. Three days into the title’s launch, he’s claimed the crown of the world’s first to unlock Interstellar. A quick recap for the unware: to earn Interstellar, you must complete all the camo challenges for all 37 of MW3’s weapons. Funnily enough, this marks his second year in a row completing this feat. Last year, he claimed the crown of earning MW2’s Polyatomic camo days after it launched. Members of the MW3 community were quick to show support for his incredible feat, with congratulations flowing in from every corner. Conversely, some members were appalled at how quickly he achieved it and told him to take a break from the game. Reidboy’s feat is certainly impressive, although this feat may fuel the fires of fan frustration at how easy the grind has become. No matter what, congratulations to Reidboy, and here’s hoping future seasons provide a more challenging Mastery camo.

MW3 players wonder why random operator has more new skins than Captain Price – Dexerto
MW3 players wonder why random operator has more new skins than Captain Price Activision BlizzardCall of Duty: MW3 players are wondering why a minor operator character has more new skins than protagonist Captain Price. Given the live-service nature of the experience, MW3 players will have plenty of content to sift through in the months ahead. Many especially look forward to the release of new operator skins, which the Season 1 Battle Pass for MW3 and Warzone recently delivered. But some operators get more love than others when it comes to these types of updates. For instance, of the seven Season 1 Battle Pass skins, two were designed for Scorch while the remaining five were devoted to BBQ, Doc, Enigma, Jet, and Pathfinder. However, players can’t help but wonder why longtime Modern Warfare protagonist, Captain Price, is receiving even less attention in this regard. MW3 player wonders why Pathfinder is “receiving all the skins” Pathfinder plays a minor role in MW3’s campaign, yet, as a Redditor demonstrated with a screenshot, the freedom fighter has already “gotten more skins in less than a week than CAPTAIN PRICE has in over a year.” Others in the thread also mentioned that operators like BBQ have received plenty of free skins, though there are “hardly any KorTac operator skins.” Another user chimed to say, “Scorch is also getting 5 separate skins before S1 reloaded. Between him BBQ and Pathfinder, kortac ops are struggling to get decent skins.” Of course, MW3 players have come up with a few theories to explain the operator skins issue. “My crack theory is they felt bad for how dirty [Pathfinder] was done in the campaign,” one person hypothesized. Another Redditor argued that money constitutes the root cause. “Money. Cpt. Price already got his sh** in older titles. So they have to sell new sh** to the kids because kids don’t buy old sh**.” But there’s also the argument that it’s too early to pass judgment since Modern Warfare 3 just launched. More skins are coming after all, so maybe this concern will prove moot in a few months’ time.

CDL star Octane reveals how to find out Ranked game mode in MW3 before match – Dexerto
CDL star Octane reveals how to find out Ranked game mode in MW3 before match Activision BlizzardCall of Duty esports star Octane has revealed how MW3 players can learn which Ranked game mode they’ll be playing before the start of a match. Modern Warfare 3 players can unlock the game’s Ranked Play offerings when reaching Level 55. The competitive 4v4 experience challenges users to come out on top in a match governed by the rules of the Call of Duty League. Ranked Play recently entered the fray, complete with three different game modes – CDL Search and Destroy, CDL Hardpoint, and CDL Control. Of the three, Search and Destroy is the only one that removes the ability to respawn. While some players like not knowing which mode they’ll join before the match starts, others would prefer to have that knowledge ahead of time – even if only for a few seconds. Call of Duty esports player Octane has a noteworthy tip for those in the latter camp. CDL star unveils MW3 Ranked game mode tip During a recent MW3 stream, former CDL player Sam “Octane” Larew told viewers how to figure out which Ranked Play mode they’ll join before the game starts. CDL Clips account SpawnUp shared the advice in a clip wherein Octane notes that players should check their Tactical while waiting in a lobby. If a Smoke Grenade is not available to equip, “it’s a respawn game type.” If a Smoke Grenade does appear in the menu, then, users can expect to play Search and Destroy. While some players in the SpawnUp comment were thankful for the tips, others noted that waiting another 15 seconds or so won’t hurt. “Damn, all that just to see what you play 15secs earlier.” Another Call of Duty player said those seconds are necessary to mentally prepare for Search and Destroy. Someone else offered a tip of their own for figuring out the Ranked mode game shuffle in MW3. “Don’t gotta do all dat, just make a smoke class and whenever the class doesn’t have a restriction exclamation point. SEARCH.” Players can decide for themselves which method works best.

MW3 November 21 update patch notes: SMG buffs, DG-58 & Holger 556 nerfs – Dexerto
MW3 November 21 update patch notes: SMG buffs, DG-58 & Holger 556 nerfs ActivisionThe latest MW3 update delivers a massive list of weapon balancing changes, including SMG buffs and nerfs to the DG-58 and FR 556. Sledgehammer Games has a clever way of cluing players in on what’s coming in future Modern Warfare 3 updates. As part of the beta update, the devs reassured fans that spawn improvements were in the works. Then, the November 15 patch update promised a long-awaited change to the slide delay. And finally, on November 17, Sledgehammer Games confirmed an overhaul to weapon balancing coming soon. So far, ARs have reigned supreme in MW3. The Holger 556, DG-58, and MCW dominate multiplayer lobbies, leaving SMGs in the dust. During an interview with Repullze, Sledgehammer Games acknowledged that the SMG class needed to be looked at and that the balancing update is finally here. MW3 SMGs finally receive buff Community members crowned the Striker as the best weapon during MW3’s beta. During the second testing weekend, Sledgehammer Games responded by nerfing the SMG’s damage ranges and extremity multipliers. When the game officially launched, it quickly became abundantly clear that the Striker and other short-range options took a backseat to ARs in the meta. The devs listened to community feedback and responded: “The highlight of this balance pass is a reduction to the lethality of the FR 5.56 and DG-58. Both Weapons will now require two headshots to kill an enemy with a single 3-round burst fire. Additionally, these changes aim to improve the consistency and viability of Submachine Guns to the intended target for the class.” Let’s take a look at how much of a difference the changes make on paper in MW3. MW3 November 17 update patch notes: Tac-sprint delay decrease, armory unlock changes, more – Dexerto
MW3 November 17 update patch notes: Tac-sprint delay decrease, armory unlock changes, more ActivisionThe latest MW3 update addresses community concerns about the tac-sprint delay, armory unlocks, and camo challenges not working in Zombies. Community members celebrated Modern Warfare 3, bringing back slide canceling, but it came with a caveat. The movement mechanic no longer resets a tactical sprint, making it much slower than what we remember from Modern Warfare 2019. Sledgehammer Games responded during the beta by decreasing the delay caused by slide canceling. However, COD content creator Xclusive Ace did his own testing and concluded that the devs reverted that change when the full game launched. Some players feared that the revision was a design choice by the devs rather than just a simple glitch. However, the devs assured players that a change was on the way. And that fix is finally here, so let’s see what’s different. Tac Sprint refresh delay and armory unlock changes The Nomber 17 update, Decreases Tac Sprint refresh delay after sliding by 75%, and sprint delay after sliding by 53% Additionally, the new Tac Sprint refresh time matches that of the Infantry Vest and Running Sneakers. In the official blog post, Sledgehammer Games explained: “At Launch, we introduced a delay after sliding to the Tac Sprint refresh time. A review prompted by Player feedback determined that the previous delay was too aggressive. Today’s updates aim to improve movement fluidity without making slide and Tac Sprint repetition the only viable choice for Players.” Players also pleaded for the “horrendous” armory unlock system to be removed, as it locks new items behind daily challenges and win requirements. The devs wouldn’t go as far as removing the system, but the latest update makes it so players no longer need to complete every daily challenge before wins count toward armory unlocks. MW3 players frustrated by long wait for Event tab fixes – Dexerto
MW3 players frustrated by long wait for Event tab fixes Activision BlizzardMW3 and Warzone developers say a fix for the missing Event tab will go live in the weeks ahead; needless to say, players aren’t happy about the long wait. Around the time of CODMAS event drop, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players started noticing that the Event tab had gone missing. Several people have claimed the problem started long before then. The issue isn’t affecting all users but it’s enough to warrant concern. After all, those without the tab had trouble tracking their progress throughout the CODMAS festivities. Some players have bypassed the headache by simply restarting their game. Not everyone enjoys such luck. Fortunately, the developers are aware of the missing Event tab. Unfortunately, the wait for a solution could persist for quite some time. MW3 players call out devs over ongoing Event tab troubles On January 3, the official Call of Duty Updates account on Twitter/X noted developers are aware that some players lack access to the Event tab. The post suggested it’s not a particularly urgent matter, considering MW3 and Warzone users can still progress through Events and unlock rewards. As such, a fix should go live “in the coming weeks.” Users in the comments aren’t happy about the MW3 and Warzone Event tab news, as evidenced by one person replying, “Weeks? What takes so long…” In the same vein, someone else chimed in with, “weeks for an events tab that’s been gone for months and more than 3 events now?” Others blasted the team for quickly deploying fixes for paid bundles, while things like the Event tab remain a low priority. One such comment reads, “They can fix a bundle that costs money within minutes but a gameplay bug within weeks.” The user made sure that a meme of Floyd Mayweather surrounded by bundles of cash accompanied their post. While tackling the Event tab bug isn’t a top priority, MW3 players can at least rest assured that a fix is planned. As of writing, though, the developers have yet to narrow down a specific date and time.

MW3 meme “aged well” as history repeats itself over a decade later – Dexerto
MW3 meme “aged well” as history repeats itself over a decade later ActivisionMW3 2023 caught a lot of flack during its launch, and a meme from nearly a decade ago seems to paint the same picture of the original MW3 that came out in 2011. MW3 has been in a strange position since its reveal and launch, as it’s become the butt of numerous jokes and harsh criticisms. Most notably, Christopher Judge roasted the game’s campaign portion during his speech at The Game Awards last December. The core of the argument is many felt it would’ve been better received as an expansion to last year’s title, not a $70 package. However, that’s not the timeline we live in, and claims of reskinned DLC will forever stick to this title’s legacy. Oddly enough, this isn’t the first CoD title to receive the “reskinned DLC label.” Funnily enough, it was the game of the same title over a decade ago that fought these accusations. MW3 meme describes fan sentiment from over a decade ago 2011 saw Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games team up to release Modern Warfare 3, the epic conclusion to the original trilogy. Despite overwhelming praise from critics, fans heavily labeled it as “MW2.5” since many felt it didn’t change the formula enough like MW2 did for the series. In all fairness, 2009’s MW2 raised the bar absurdly high for Call of Duty, introducing Killstreaks, weapon customization, and many more features that would become staples of the franchise. Surpassing that was an otherwordly task that no title could perform, but MW3 did fine for itself. Fast forward 12 years, and this version of MW3 has fans feeling the same way. A post on the MW3 subreddit said: “This aged well,” with a meme from nearly a decade ago, where a player uses an expo marker to write a three on MW2’s disc, basically sharing how they felt about both titles. This year’s issue feels a bit more complex, with the Carry Forward system and 16 maps from 2009’s MW2 doing more harm than good for the game’s overall narrative. There’s also the ordeal that it was rumored to be DLC before its announcement until it pivoted into a full title. This isn’t the first time both MW3 titles caught flack, as 2011’s version was caught in a review bomb when last year’s title dropped. It seems both titles will be linked together forever, although it may be for bad reasons rather than fond memories.

MW3 matches plagued by “AFK” battle pass farmers – Dexerto
MW3 matches plagued by “AFK” battle pass farmers ActivisionCall of Duty players are calling for Sledgehammer Games to deal with the plague of macro AFKing in Modern Warfare 3 matches. Modern Warfare 3 has been subject to criticism from players due to several issues plaguing the experience since launch. Players have voiced frustration over the wave of advertisements and the rampant presence of cheaters. Another complaint that has surfaced revolves around the implementation of battle pass rewards being tied to the amount of time spent in-game. This approach has been met with criticism, stating that it restricts access to rewards and undermines skill-based progression. A Reddit post recently shed light on the current state of Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, featuring an in-game clip that highlighted the ongoing epidemic of macro AFKing. It’s a tactic that allows players to move their character without being at their setup. “It’s what happens when you lock content behind game time. I don’t begrudge someone trying to get the stuff out of the battle pass that they’ve paid for. It’s not fun for the players actually participating, but at least this ain’t costing you a win as it could in other playlists.” explained one top comment. Others agreed with the sentiment, saying that the developers were to blame for the issue. Especially with the current state of the battle pass and needed to grind through it to unlock all of the extra skins, weapons, and accessories. “They don’t want to fix this, it gives the Devs the numbers they can brag about while only affecting a tiny portion of the community. Sorry. It’s a small price to pay for more money.” argued another commenter.

Complete list of maps in Modern Warfare 3 DexertoModern Warfare 3 features an impressive range of maps including classics from past games and fresh designs that offer an entirely new experience. MW3 player sparks cheating debate after using a full-auto macro – Dexerto
MW3 player sparks cheating debate after using a full-auto macro Activision BlizzardAn MW3 player taking advantage of macros has sparked another debate about whether or not the tactic should be considered cheating. Functioning similarly to programmable scripts, macros constitute pre-determined keystrokes or inputs tied to a single key that provide players with combat advantages. Macros can turn semi-automatic weapons fully automatic, for example. They aren’t exclusive to mouse and keyboard either, players who use controllers can also gain an unfair advantage this way. Talk about whether macros count as cheating has been ongoing for years in the Call of Duty community. The discourse has recently reared its head yet again, thanks to a gameplay clip making the rounds. MW3 players debate the ethics of using macros Content creator ExoGhost recently shared gameplay footage of an MW3 match wherein a fellow player accused him of cheating. In response to the post, a Twitter user called out the streamers for wielding a burst weapon that somehow fired like a full auto. Another content creator, ProReborn identified the same issue and wrote, “FYI: Using macros triggers shadowbans.” PreReborn noted in a subsequent post that the source for his shadowban claim comes from the grapevine. However, he added, “can’t tell you how many snipers use YY macros and complain about shadowbans.” There’s some contention about whether or not this applies to the ExoGhost gameplay video. After all, the streamer claims he had the ‘shoot’ function bound to the mouse’s scroll wheel. Many argue that, since Activision allows it, this kind of workaround doesn’t count as cheating. In any case, it seems that players who do use macros to secure unfair combat advantages in MW3 should be on their guard. The ban hammer could strike them sooner or later.

MW3 LMG still absolutely “melts” in Warzone but it’s been forgotten about – Dexerto
MW3 LMG still absolutely “melts” in Warzone but it’s been forgotten about One of Modern Warfare 3’s most powerful LMGs can still dominate in Warzone with a “really, really fast TTK” but some players have forgotten all about it. With Warzone getting routine updates, the meta in the battle royale can quite easily shift. At the start of the Modern Warfare 3 cycle, the new MW3 guns dominated things. Weapons from Modern Warfare 2 have bled in at times, but if you’re not using the newer options, you’re probably not winning games. The Holger 26 was one such dominant option at the end of Season 3 and well through Season 4 Reloaded. The LMG’s fast Time to Kill saw it shine through following the DG-58 LSW’s nerf. Yet, the Holger has dropped off following its own nerfs. However, if you’re looking for a different LMG option in Warzone right now, you may as well return to it as stats guru WhosImmortal has highlighted it as being a top close-range option again. “The Holger AMP, so long as your sights are aimed down, is crazy,” the YouTuber said in his August 15 video. “This thing absolutely melts.” The Burnout Kit is the key attachment for the Holger 26, but there are some other crutches. The Ascent Lord Stock and SL Skeletal Vertical grip give you the necessary control, while the 5.56 NATO High Grain rounds buff your effective damage ranges. “Bit of a unique set-up but also a really, really fast TTK one too,” WhosImmortal concluded. Underbarrel: SL Skeletal Vertical grip – Optic: Nydar Model 2023 – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – Stock: Ascent Lord Stock – Conversion Kit: JAK Burnout Kit – Timestamp of 7:55 As noted, the Holger 26 did dominate the Warzone meta a few seasons ago. However, it has since dropped off in a big way following some big nerfs. According to WZRanked stats, the LMG sits as the 26th most popular gun in the game. Obviously, that isn’t a death sentence but it is certainly a fair bit away from where it used to be.

MW3 LMG “melts” as SMG in Warzone thanks to one attachment – Dexerto
MW3 LMG “melts” as SMG in Warzone thanks to one attachment ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s best LMGs can actually dominate as an SMG in Warzone, and it’s all thanks to one attachment that makes a pretty big change. Over the last few years, as Call of Duty has experimented with changes to the Create-A-Class system, players have been able to tinker with guns to their heart’s content. That’s gone up another level in Modern Warfare 3 thanks to the arrival of Aftermarket Parts, with players now being able to take guns and completely turn them on their heads with Conversion Kits. As a result, these Conversion Kits have been at the heart of some of Warzone’s most broken weapons like the COR-45, MTZ-762, and the Mk.2 Lockwood. While it isn’t overly broken like those, the Holger 26 has been helped by a new Conversion Kit in Season 3 Reloaded, as Warzone guru IceManIsaac highlighted it for ‘melting’ players at close range. “Inside roughly seven or eight meters, it is the fastest-killing weapon in the game. So, if you’re a small map player, I really think you can get some benefit out of the jarringly fast Time to Kill,” he said in his May 6 video. IceManIsaac added that the Conversion Kit takes the LMG and makes it a “flamethrower” of bullets, which “melts” players in those ranges where SMGs typically thrive. Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Conversion Kit: JAK Burnout Kit – Rear Grip: CT2000 Tactical Grip – Timestamp of 12:45 The YouTuber also noted, thanks to its recoil, the Holger isn’t going to be “super meta” but it is “super fun” and that players should at least try it out before changes come into play. It is clearly an excellent experimental option in the battle royale right now. And, who knows, you might just fall in love with it especially if you’ve never harnessed the Holger’s “crazy” TTK before.

MW3 leak suggests Vanguard’s most memorable map may be returning – Dexerto
MW3 leak suggests Vanguard’s most memorable map may be returning Activision BlizzardDatamined information suggests a future MW3 update will reintroduce the Das Haus multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Vanguard. Given its years of dominance, it’s no surprise that Call of Duty plays host to its fair share of iconic multiplayer maps. And a few of the most beloved ones have become available courtesy of the franchise’s more recent releases. The Das Haus map in 2021’s Vanguard counts as one such location, offering a small, interior-centric area modeled after the White House’s West Wing. But could this chaotic map set in World War II Germany return to the spotlight anytime soon? A new Modern Warfare 3 leak hints that it’s not beyond the realm of possibility. MW3 could be getting Vanguard’s Das Haus map Call of Duty leaker Semtex shared datamined details regarding the new multiplayer playlists supposedly coming to Modern Warfare 3. Most notably, the leak points to the return of the Das Haus locale from the Vanguard days. If the information proves accurate, players could get their hands on 6v6 Mosh Pit playlists on Das Haus, Shipment, and Meat maps. Users may also look forward to “increased player counts on small maps,” based on the information featured below: MW3 possibly adding the Das Haus map to future playlists could be a match made in Heaven. After all, the latest Call of Duty installment already features smaller maps, which give way to fast-paced, chaotic matches. Das Haus would likely fit in perfectly. As of press time, though, the Modern Warfare 3 developers have yet to confirm any of the above details. This particular leak began making the rounds right as Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone received their Season 1 Reloaded patches. Unfortunately for players, the latest update hasn’t gone off without a hitch, with Warzone users, in particular, encountering a litany of issues.

MW3 leak reveals another The Boys collab is coming – Dexerto
MW3 leak reveals another The Boys collab is coming ActivisionThe Boys and Call of Duty look set to be joining forces once again after a Modern Warfare 3 leak has uncovered that a collaboration event for both multiplayer and Zombies is in the works. MW3 has been in full swing since it was officially released on November 9, 2023, returning with various fan-favorite classic maps and features. Aside from the multiplayer having been riddled with lobby-breaking exploits and bugs for Sledgehammer Games to tackle, Activision’s next port of call looks to be in continuing to bring major collaborations to the franchise. Rick Grimes and Michonne from The Walking Dead have been revealed by data miners to potentially be joining MW3 as brand-new Operators due to links found to their upcoming spin-off The Ones Who Live. According to further leaks, the hit superhero show The Boys is set to be returning to CoD again as part of an in-game event for both multiplayer and Zombies. The Boys MW3 event to launch for Zombies & multiplayer Fans of The Boys have been eagerly awaiting Amazon to drop Season 4 since its previous season released all the way back in 2022. However, despite only just joining forces in July for MW2, CoD players will not have to wait much longer to get their fresh, gory piece The Boys content according to leaks. According to MWIIIIntel, an event named The Boys vs The Seven will take place for core modes in Zombies and multiplayer in MW3. It will also include specific event challenges for players to earn XP. The Seven refers to the group of controversial Superheros who protect the world in the show, and The Boys themselves are an anti-superhero vigilante group, who are often seen fighting against them. This suggests that much like the previous Homelander, Black Noir, and Starlight Operators, who joined Warzone and MW2, so too could popular characters from both sides, such as Billy Butcher or A-Train. Once further details have been announced, we will be sure to update you with more information regarding MW3’s collaboration with The Boys. The leaks come off the back of the new information being released for the upcoming MW3 Season 1 update which is fast approaching and will include new weapons, maps, and more.

MW3 leak points to Rick Grimes & Michonne Operators in The Walking Dead collab – Dexerto
MW3 leak points to Rick Grimes & Michonne Operators in The Walking Dead collab AMCWalkers beware. Call of Duty could be merging with The Walking Dead as newly datamined intel suggests a collaboration is on the way soon, one that could bring Rick Grimes and Michonne to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as new Operators. In the era of live service games, high-profile crossovers are fairly common. Whether it’s previous CoD games bringing horror icons back into the spotlight, Overwatch 2 adding One Punch Man skins to the game, or just about every single IP known to man dropping into Fortnite, there’s plenty for fans to spend their money on. Next on the agenda appears to be another popular crossover for Activision’s FPS juggernaut. With Modern Warfare 3 now in focus, the first big collaboration seems locked in as dataminers have picked up on fresh intel in the latest update. Seemingly to arrive early next year, Rick Grimes and Michonne of The Walking Dead fame could be joining as new Operators. In effort to promote the new movie-turned-series spinoff The Ones Who Live, the power couple may be taking on some new threats in CoD. While not explicitly confirming the crossover, prominent CoD leaker ‘HeyImAlaix’ teased the idea on November 21. Sharing a simple picture of the show, along with a follow-up pertaining to The Ones Who Live, they connected the two mega-popular franchises. No specific details were locked in beyond the mere possibility of a collab, though with its ties to the February 2024 spinoff series, speculation has already run rampant. As this new show focuses on Rick Grimes and Michonne, many are convinced they’re the obvious fit if any new Operators should arrive as part of this collab. Though it’s obviously worth taking this theory with a grain of salt for the time being. For all we know, the crossover might be nothing more than an in-game challenge with some weapon skins attached. Though if recent history is anything to go by, similar to The Boys crossover earlier this year, it seems Operator skins are a given with major promotions of this nature. For now, we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled over the coming months as any further details emerge. At the time of writing, Modern Warfare 3 is still fresh and its integration with Warzone is yet to even get underway. Thus, there’s no quite telling how things may track beyond this highly anticipated merge on December 6. Rest assured, we’ll keep you up to speed right here with all the latest as this possible CoD x The Walking Dead collab comes into focus.

MW3 kit that “shouldn’t be in the game” has players preparing for a nerf – Dexerto
MW3 kit that “shouldn’t be in the game” has players preparing for a nerf ActivisionThe MW3 community is predicting an incoming nerf for one of the game’s most powerful weapon kits. Weapons have always been the name of the game in CoD, and MW3 is no different as players look to find the best weapons to use in the game. Sometimes, there is a weapon in the game that is so powerful, however, that while it gives players a leg up in competition, it can ruin the experience for everyone else. MW3 fans believe they have found a weapon kit that just does this, and because of how good it is, they are predicting a big nerf to be coming for it soon. MW3 players think a nerf is coming for OP weapon The discussion is continuing over on the MW3 subreddit in a post that sums up what everyone is feeling: “This kit should not exist in this game.” The poster shares a clip of them using a weapon kit for the Haymaker, which essentially turns the gun into a fully automatic shotgun. In the clip, they easily rack up over 10 kills with it in a matter of minutes. While many players in the comments recognize how good the gun is to use, they also see how it can easily overpower others and make their experience more frustrating. “Enjoy it while you can as I’m sure it’ll be nerfed soon. Personally using this gun is the most fun I’ve had with MW3 since launch though. Love getting in a haymaker lobby and having the back-and-forth Shotgun duels. Although I’m surprised I don’t see more people running it.” Many, however, don’t see an issue with the weapon kit, as they point out in the clip that the player is using the shotgun as intended: “It’s a small map. It’s being played properly as a shotgun. The kit is just fine.” Others don’t think that the gun would be that good in a regular match, suspecting bots to be the reason they are able to claim so many kills. One MW3 user even suggests the poster is using a VPN to gain a better connection to the game’s servers. The kit is clearly a divisive subject, and the community is never going to completely agree on its power being too much or too little. It also remains to be seen if the devs are going to nerf it, or let it stay exactly where it is.

MW3 is missing an opportunity to bring back underrated maps from the original – Dexerto
MW3 is missing an opportunity to bring back underrated maps from the original ActivisionMW3 shares the same name as another title in the series, yet refuses to use the great maps that went under the radar from the 2011 hit. MW3 has a great opportunity to remake some maps from the original Modern Warfare 3 from 2011 in its seasonal content. When it launched, the game made an odd choice in using redone maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 instead, probably to take advantage of those maps’ iconic status in the community. However, MW3 2011 had some great maps that players largely ignored because of the game’s same-same gameplay. But the devs have a chance to remedy this by bringing back those old maps through the seasonal content drops in the current game, which boasts some of the best gameplay in the series. Sure, the game has Dome from that old map pool, but this is another map that is continually released in almost every entry. There are still plenty of one-and-done maps that can deserve to be re-evaluated. The MW3 subreddit is asking for this exact thing, as they wonder why the devs aren’t using the same maps from the game’s namesake: “It’s so sad that the game is called ‘MW3’ and the only map we’ve gotten from the original one is Dome.” It’s clear that the nostalgia for the original Modern Warfare 2’s maps is starting to wear thin, as one user remarks: “Oh, you mean the maps the game should have launched with and not the dogs*** over-rated OG MW2 maps?” There are maps like Hardhat, Resistance, and more that could add a new surge of nostalgia to the game. It can even give a further boost of positivity to how the game’s seasonal content has been received. It would be a slam dunk to evoke more nostalgia through bringing back content that hasn’t been overdone, and it seems certain that the community would embrace it.

MW3 players call for changes to “excessive” health regen rate – Dexerto
MW3 players call for changes to “excessive” health regen rate Activision BlizzardMW3 players are blasting the shooter’s slow health regen rates, with many hoping developers will deploy improvements sooner rather than later. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hit store shelves to poor reviews earlier this month. Player reception hasn’t fared much better, though developers will look to improve upon the experience as time goes on. They’ll have plenty of feedback to take into consideration, too. Thus far, Modern Warfare faithful have requested everything from a vehicle overhaul to the addition of server-related features. Now the discourse is targeting another troublesome feature – health regen. And some players already have suggestions on how things could improve in this regard. MW3 players say health regen needs a change asap A Modern Warfare 3 player recently called out the title’s slow health regen rate on Reddit. According to the frustrated user, a game centered on fast-paced action has no business forcing players to wait seven seconds for their health to regenerate. The problem lies with a tedious loop wherein players get injured in a gunfight and win that battle, only to be downed by another enemy because it takes too long for the first injury to heal. In their comment, the Redditor wrote: “I don’t know about you, but I experience that scenario quite regularly, where it just feels like the health recovery time holds me back in certain situations.” Based on the comments, many players agree with this sentiment. “Yep, they need to increase health regeneration rate,” reads one response. Some think the addition of Quick Fix would provide the perfect solution, as the perk does away with the health regen delay whenever users land a kill. One person said of the perk’s hopeful arrival, “All I want for Christmas is… Quickfix! Imagine having it from the start of a match and not like MW2 after minutes.” Meanwhile, others think the second enemy in the above scenario needs to be considered. A Redditor presented their case with the following: “…when shooting someone else, it gives you more time to be aggressive and chase a weakened opponent if he is hurt, so the longer heal time does also reward more aggressive players imo.” As of now, there’s no telling if or when MW3 developers will address these health regen concerns.
