London Royal Ravens CDL 2021 preview: fresh start for Europe’s top prospects Call of Duty LeagueThe revamped London Royal Ravens lineup for 2021 features many of Europe’s most accomplished players but will they be able to outperform the world’s best teams in one of the most competitive years in Call of Duty history? Keeping the same approach from 2020, the Royal Ravens have remained true to their fanbase. Rather than grabbing North American superstars or signing up and coming prospects from the Challengers scene, the London-based franchise has recruited yet another full-EU lineup. For fans of last year’s team, a number of familiar faces are back once again. After somewhat coming into form at the tail end of the year, with a fourth-place finish at Champs, the core of the roster is looking to build off that momentum in 2021. While it might be easy to overlook them at first, Ravens could prove to be an increasingly difficult matchup for even the best teams as the next CDL season gets underway. London Royal Ravens CDL 2021 roster Europe’s chance to topple the world’s best teams Throughout 2020, the Ravens roster was constantly in flux. While the twins Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall and Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall didn’t miss a week, the remaining spots were in rotation for much of the year. Naturally, it’s tough to build on a foundation when pieces are being shuffled. When Dylan, Seany, and Zer0 joined the mix, however, they were soon locked in for the remainder of the season. Once this trio entered the fray together, they were able to knuckle down and improve over time. This helped pave the way for a stunning Champs run that eclipsed all expectations. Now, they have a chance to build off this late improvement and capitalize with a full year of growth. Saving the newcomer for last❗ We’ve got our freshest face @Alexx1935 in front of the camera to talk about what it means to be a Royal Raven and the season ahead. pic.twitter.com/JQRqjHOwnZ — Carolina Royal Ravens (@RoyalRavens) November 27, 2020 Bolstering the team this time around is Alexx, another seasoned European. In the complete inverse, Alexx is coming from a year with the Minnesota ROKKR, a team that started strong but dropped off over the course of the year. Together, this group of players has every chance to be one of the strongest teams the region has ever put forward. They all have years of experience behind them and know what it takes to hang with the very best in the world. That being said, the Ravens certainly got off to a rocky start in the Kickoff Classic. They fell short in a scrappy battle with Paris Legion that went the distance. Despite dominating the Control game mode with a 3-0 win, they fumbled in both Hardpoints and failed to find their groove in the final S&D. It’s important to note that with the league being online again in 2021, almost every CDL player has moved to the United States to compete. Unfortunately for the Ravens, this opening showcase went down with Zer0 still playing from the United Kingdom. There’s no telling if he’ll be able to relocate in time for the actual season, yet he was still holding his own even with a major ping disadvantage. GGs Paris, tough ask for me to play 100% with the situation, hoping to have my situation sorted to be out there soon, was good to play something competitive. — cartier (@Trei) January 24, 2021 By no stretch will 2021 be an easy year for the Ravens. They’ve got their work cut out for them to defy expectations. If they hope to place among the top teams at any given Major, they’ll need one hell of a run. Read More: CDL 2021 schedule revealed – But they’re the only real team with a chance of putting a non-NA franchise well and truly on the map. It’s a safe bet this EU squad will remain competitive against the very best and occasionally cause some upsets as 2021 gets underway.

London Royal Ravens bench Zer0 for PaulEhx amid CDL Major 2 qualifier struggles – Dexerto
London Royal Ravens bench Zer0 for PaulEhx amid CDL Major 2 qualifier struggles Call of Duty LeaguePaul ‘PaulEhx’ Avila was previously benched in favor of returning AR legend Skrapz, but now he’s back in the London Royal Ravens’ CDL lineup as Zer0’s replacement. The Major 2 qualifiers have not been kind to a London squad that has already made big changes this year. They previously failed to win a game in Raleigh during Major 1, posting a 2-6 map count for the tournament and benching PaulEhx for Skrapz as a result. Now 0-2 ahead of the next big tournament, Avila returns to a squad that needs to get things back on track before heading to Boston. Zer0 announces PaulEhx replacing him in Royal Ravens starting CDL lineup Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris was streaming in the early hours of January 17 when he broke the news to his chat. “Paul will be taking my spot, he’ll be filling for me. Tomorrow, I’ll be scrimming and I’ll be streaming, and I’ll be using a sub, so pull up to see that,” he said. When asked about the switch to SMG he explained that it’s all about keeping his options open. “Listen bro, they threw me on the bench. I’m just having fun now….I’m preparing for any situation.” LRR’s upcoming January 21 match against Los Angeles Thieves will be PaulEhx’s first League action since he exited the team’s lineup back in December and marks yet another go-around as a starter with the organization. Avila previously released a TwitLonger claiming that he was stepping away from competing in order to become the “best person and the best teammate” he could possibly be. During his stream, Zer0 also confirmed that he’ll be headed to Challengers and playing alongside Jintroid, Darksived, and Xotic.

London Royal Ravens announce relocation ahead of CDL 2023/24 season – Dexerto
London Royal Ravens announce relocation ahead of CDL 2023/24 season Royal RavensThe London Royal Ravens — the only remaining European franchise in the Call of Duty League — has officially announced its move to North America with a relocation to North Carolina to become the Carolina Royal Ravens. In recent years, the Royal Ravens have failed to make much of an impact in the CDL — lackluster performances have seen them miss out on Champs and struggle to see results at LAN Majors, and the fanbase’s calls for a London event have fallen on deaf ears. Earlier in the offseason, it was reported that the franchise was eyeing up a move to Charlotte, North Carolina, where parent company ReKTGlobal was originally based, though the team was later acquired by Infinite Reality and based in California, as well as a takeover from Spanish-based organization KOI, founded by top Twitch streamer Ibai Llanos. While the process was a slow one, and there wasn’t much further development on the matter throughout the offseason, the move was finally made official on September 5, as the franchise teased a major announcement throughout the day before finally making it. Carolina Royal Ravens made official On September 5, the Royal Ravens posted to confirm that the relocation was going ahead, despite backlash faced from fans across the UK in the aftermath of the initial reports. The team is one of the last to announce its roster for the upcoming Call of Duty League 2023/24 season, joined only by LA Guerrillas and Vegas Legion with no tangible reports or rumors around who the team will include. This change means there are no longer any CDL franchises representing the UK, or Europe whatsoever. Every other team has announced their roster amid this CDL rostermania period, with the exception of Seattle Surge, who seem to have a roster ready to go that Dexerto previously reported on.

London Royal Ravens announce massive CDL challengers event – Dexerto
London Royal Ravens announce massive CDL challengers event London Royal Ravens, the UK’s sole representative in the franchised Call of Duty League, have announced that they will be hosting a large-scale challenger’s event in response to criticism over their main homestand event. London will be hosting the very best teams Call of Duty has to offer on February 8-9, including the likes of the Chicago Huntsmen, Dallas Empire and New York Subliners among others. However, they faced criticism for having just 32 team slots in the open bracket, something that they seemed unable to get changed. Now, though, it looks like they’ve found a solution with an all-new challengers event. In a tweet posted on January 14, the Ravens explained to their followers that they hear their concerns and have come up with this solution. “Players we hear you! While we have been unable to change the challenger’s format for the February event, we will be offering a much larger 100+ team challenger tournament in June,” the tweet states. They also explain that more details will be available closer to the event. “Over 100 teams” is much closer to what Call of Duty events have seen in recent years, and the addition of another event to the calendar will surely satiate fans’ thirst to see more high-level Call of Duty. Players we hear you! Whilst we have been unable to change the challengers format for the Feb event, we will be offering a much larger 100+ team challenger tournament in June. We’ll provide more details soon. We hope you’ll still come and support us at the Copper Box in February. — Carolina Royal Ravens (@RoyalRavens) January 14, 2020 Although exact details on the event have not yet been shared, June is closer to the latter end of the season which means it could be many teams’ final chances at glory on the big stage, so it could be the perfect time to run an event on this scale. Based on the wording of the announcement, it seems the London team tried to increase the number of challenger teams for their main February event at the Copper Box arena but had no luck. London Royal Ravens originally had an event planned for June 20-21, so while this may be the dates for the massive challenger event, it’s worth noting that since the format and layout of tournaments changed, this date may no longer be set in stone.

London Royal Ravens and OpTic LA roast each other ahead of CDL – Dexerto
London Royal Ravens and OpTic LA roast each other ahead of CDL Two Call of Duty League franchises, London Royal Ravens and OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, have locked horns via social media, setting up more intriguing story-lines ahead of the 2020 season. As the professional Call of Duty scene makes the unprecedented jump into a franchise-based league, fans are eagerly anticipating a host of new rivalries and storylines, as ex-teammates turn nemeses in the league’s new format. We have already seen ex-OpTic Gaming’s Crimsix and Scump getting at each other’s throats, and November 22 saw two of the CDL’s franchises going at it via social media. London Royal Ravens are one of three franchises based outside of the U.S., alongside Paris Legion and Toronto Ultra. It’s fair to assume that distance will lessen any rivalries, but that didn’t stop them picking a fight with a franchise on the other side of the planet. “Gonna tell my grandkids this was the most loved CoD team,” the Ravens’ tweet said. It then had a picture of OpTic Gaming LA’s logo, joking that all of the Greenwall’s fans have deserted them as H3CZ, Scump and others left the organization, and it was acquired by Immortals Gaming. OpTic then hit back, mocking the mundanity of the Ravens’ announcement video, which saw members of its CoD team introducing themselves as they lounged around on sofas. Gonna tell my grandkids that this was the best team announcement in the league https://t.co/MGaMsZy3mS — OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTic) November 22, 2019 However, London didn’t seem too phased by the insult to their announcement video. They immediately hit back with a screenshot of OpTic Gaming LA’s 231-point defeat to Dallas Empire in a hardpoint scrim. “Gonna tell my grandkids this is a pro team,” the caption read. While scrim results should be taken with a degree of skepticism, fans were shocked at how one-sided the match was, with only Dashy managing to get into double figures for kills. Unofficial scrim records suggest OpTic Gaming LA are struggling to find early consistency on Modern Warfare. OpTic did not respond further but Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, their main AR, took issue with London’s tweets, and hit back with a number of images showing OpTic members winning tournaments. In response, London joked that SlasheR would ‘GA’ their tweets – meaning ‘gentleman’s agreement’. Read More: New Modern Warfare leaks from v1.09 update – SlasheR seemingly has a reputation in the pro CoD scene for pushing for in-game items to be GA’d, meaning pros agree not to use them, despite them technically being allowed in the official rules. With OpTic LA already facing rivalries with Chicago, Dallas and LA Guerrillas, it seems we can add London to the list of teams that want to get one over on the new version of the Greenwall.

London Call of Duty franchise name possibly leaked in trademark filing – Dexerto
London Call of Duty franchise name possibly leaked in trademark filing London – Call of DutyThe official title for the London-based Call of Duty franchise competing in the inaugural 2020 League may have just been revealed. Secrecy has been a strong suit for all of the announced franchise teams as the competitive Call of Duty landscape transitions to a city-based model in 2020. All details are being tightly kept under wraps, from roster information down to the very names of given teams. However, the full name of the London franchise might have just slipped through the cracks. In a listing on September 9, a trademark was filed for the ‘London Ravens.’ While a single trademark could mean anything, this specific filing explicitly hints at the title being applied within the esports industry. “Promotion and management of a video gaming sports team,” the listing reads. Almost assuredly linking to the recently announced London-based Call of Duty franchise. The trademark listing further reaffirms the link to Call of Duty by highlighting the need for “video gaming events, tournaments and competitions.” As matches in the upcoming season will be contested in home and away style events around the globe, the London franchise would be no exception. Hosting events throughout 2020 to showcase international talent on a grand stage. A trademark for “London Ravens” was filed last week and its classifications suit an esports team perfectly. Hi, @LondonCOD? pic.twitter.com/u1IGOebHHG — Adam Fitch (@byadamfitch) September 17, 2019 Additionally, the listing also includes the obvious “clothing, footwear, headgear,” in order for the team to begin merchandising the brand and promoting its presence internationally. This isn’t the first Call of Duty franchise team to potentially have its official name leaked ahead of time. Trademarks filed on September 11 could have given away the title of one of the Los Angeles teams. All franchise teams within the new league are required to have branding that represents their home city in some form or another. Similar to London Spitfire of the Overwatch League, the London Ravens could be the official title for the London-based Call of Duty team. As the release of Modern Warfare draws closer, details for all teams should be forthcoming in the very near future. Keep an eye on our live rostermania tracker for all of the latest intel.

London Call of Duty franchise makes historic league-first player signing – Dexerto
London Call of Duty franchise makes historic league-first player signing Wuskin/TwitterThe London Call of Duty franchise has made history as the first team to announce a roster acquisition. In a September 17 announcement, London revealed that British-born Bradley ‘Wuskin’ Marshall would be joining the team. The 22-year-old is formerly part of Team Reciprocity and finished tied for 5-6 in the CWL Championship in August. He was released from his team back in August when Reciprocity announced they would not participate in COD franchising. Welcome Bradley “”Wuskin”” Marshall as our first @LondonCOD player, pending league approval. @wuskinz is one of the best Assault Rifle players on the scene. We hope Bradley’s hardworking and individual skill will help put the team on the place where we expect to be. More tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/MqIRrrd4wM — London Call of Duty (@LondonCOD) September 17, 2019 It’s currently unknown where the rest of Wuskin’s team will end up. He has competed in multiple Call of Duty games including Black Ops 3 and 4, Infinite Warfare and World War 2. Wuskin is known as one of the best assault rifle players in the game today with phenomenal individual skill. He was a 2018 CWL Pro League All-Star and should make for a solid foundation for London to build around. The roster move is still pending league approval, but it’s unlikely to be overruled. This is common in Activision Blizzard esports, as many teams have announced roster moves pending League approval in the OWL. Happy to finish up rostermania, I’ve signed with @LondonCOD for the Call Of Duty esports in 2020, pending league approval! Now it’s time to sit back and watch the chaos unfold, follow @LondonCOD it’s now my official home! — wuskin (@wuskinz) September 17, 2019 The European region, particularly the UK, has been represented well in CoD esports over the past few years. The London team is being managed by a legendary member of the British esports scene, Michael “ODEE” O’Dell, formerly of Team Dignitas. Most teams are waiting to announce roster moves, but have begun to announce staffing such as general managers. As we previously reported, on September 9 a trademark was filed for the “London Ravens”, possibly connected to the city’s Call of Duty team.

London Call of Duty franchise announce ‘Royal Ravens’ branding – Dexerto
London Call of Duty franchise announce ‘Royal Ravens’ branding Unsplash: bendavisual/ActivisionLondon’s CoD franchise has revealed the branding and team name it will operate under during Modern Warfare’s Call of Duty League, confirming previous leaks. Ahead of the inaugural Call of Duty League season, leaks and rumors are swirling around the rosters and franchises. All 12 franchises and their cities have been confirmed, but player rosters and franchise branding remain up in the air for many. The London Call of Duty franchise – one of only three based outside of North America – has previously confirmed their roster but had not yet revealed the name and branding. In an announcement on October 15, London CoD confirmed that they will be operating under the name ‘London Royal Ravens’, as well as revealing the branding and logo accompanying their organization. They also explained the origin of the name, stemming from the Ravens of the Tower of London, one of the city’s most prestigious landmarks. “The Ravens represent the guardians of London,” the organization said. “In remaining true to the legend, the Royal Ravens will protect their crown by ensuring the kingdom doesn’t fall and that they bring the championship title back to the homeland.” The full London Royal Ravens roster is as follows: Brad ‘Wuskin’ Marshall – Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall – Dylan ‘Dylan’ Henderson – Jordan ‘Jurd’ Crowley – Rhys ‘Rated’ Price – They have also confirmed their coaches, with Joee as head coach, ShAnE as strategic coach, and Dominate as assistant coach. There has been something of a resurgence in attitudes towards coaches over the last season of competitive Call of Duty, as many push for a rule change to allow coaches back on stage and into in-game communications. Many CoD franchises are sorting their rosters and announcing branding, with Seattle suggesting we can expect an announcement on October 21, while the full 10-man roster of Toronto’s franchise has apparently been leaked. London Call of Duty announce 5th player to confirm full roster The London Call of Duty franchise has confirmed their full lineup for the 2020 season, announcing Rhys ‘Rated’ Price as their fifth addition to the starting roster. Rated joins just after the addition of Irish player Jurd, who was confirmed on September 28, meaning the roster is fully European. This completes our starting roster.#MindTheGap pic.twitter.com/qcqvke9jRH — London Call of Duty (@LondonCOD) September 29, 2019 The league isn’t set to begin properly until January 2020, but the Modern Warfare releasing on October 25, there is less than a month for teams to be formed in time for the game’s launch. With so much on the line, teams will want to ensure they have as much practice as a squad before the season begins. New York confirmed a full North American lineup, featuring former FaZe players Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparratto and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris, with Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda and Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi rounding out the roster. For London, it’s an all British lineup with the exception of Jurd, representing the Republic of Ireland. Loadout Drops are ruining Warzone matches thanks to bizarre glitch – Dexerto
Loadout Drops are ruining Warzone matches thanks to bizarre glitch Infinity WardLoadout Drops can now be added to the list of potential threats in Warzone, as unlucky Call of Duty players still grinding the battle royale have been hit with a new game-breaking bug that makes it impossible to win. [jwplayer L7zZP3SQ] Infinity Ward’s hugely popular battle royale is into its sixth season now. Despite plenty of iteration and tons of updates since launch, new bugs continue to pop up. The latest will have you questioning every Loadout Drop until a fix is deployed. Loadout Drops are absolutely vital in Warzone. It’s the only way to secure the most powerful weapons in the game and kit your Operator out with some important perks. However, it turns out they also have some critical downsides in the latest update. Rather than grabbing a set of weapons and being on your way, there’s a chance that Loadout Drops now ruin your match. Here’s what you need to be cautious of. While running through a game on October 25, Reddit user ‘tharimrattler’ was thrown off guard by a Loadout Drop. To begin with, it landed in a rather awkward spot atop a street sign. Though what followed was far more awkward. The player selected their Loadout almost instantly once the menu appeared. They were likely spamming the select button straight away as they had their favorite setup as the top class option. Unfortunately, choosing the Loadout this fast came with some complications. The progress bar for ‘Capturing’ the crate remained on screen. No matter what they did, how far they moved from the drop, or what buttons they pressed, this bar stayed in effect. While that may not seem like a huge deal, this is what prevented them from shooting, swapping weapons, and using any form of equipment. For the rest of the game, they were quite literally defenseless. Plenty of other players chimed in, adding they’ve also encountered the strange bug. It’s clearly not a one-off issue but there’s no telling how common it is just yet. You’ll need to be extra careful when interacting with Supply Drops until next update. If you get hit with this particular glitch, there’s no proper way to deal with it. Other issues can be fought through but for the Loadout Drop bug, it more or less means game over. If you’re downed, there’s a chance you might regain control in the Gulag. Though even that could seriously hinder if not ruin your run. Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the issue but something this severe will likely be an immediate priority. Keep your eyes peeled for updates over the next few days.

CoD leaker suggests Loadout Drops possibly removed from Warzone 2 – Dexerto
CoD leaker suggests Loadout Drops possibly removed from Warzone 2 ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker has suggested that Warzone 2 may not feature Loadout Drops, despite how popular they are in Warzone and how important they are to gameplay. Loadout Drops became a defining feature in Warzone, separating it from other battle royale games as it allowed players to pick up weapons and custom classes they had set up beforehand, with different weapons and perks to play to their own style. While there has always been a selection of ‘meta’ weapons that dominate across Warzone, be it Verdansk, Caldera, Rebirth Island, or Fortune’s Keep, loadouts at least allow players to be a bit more inventive over how they navigate the battlefield. That could all be about to end in Warzone 2, however, after a cryptic post from a leaker which many believe to mean Loadout Drops will no longer be in the sequel. The post was short and sweet, simply featuring two emojis: a big, red X, and a box, but many believe that to be a clear indication that loadout drops will no longer feature, including top CoD leaker TheGhostOfHope. Of course, a tweet this cryptic can’t be taken as concrete evidence, so as always take this with a pinch of salt, especially ahead of the CoD Next event which will give players their first look at the upcoming Call of Duty titles. If loadout drops really have been completely removed from the game, it will be interesting to see which new ways developers Infinity Ward come up with to separate Warzone 2 from the rest of the competition.

Livestream slip appears to confirm Team Envy and 100 Thieves CoD roster moves – Dexerto
Livestream slip appears to confirm Team Envy and 100 Thieves CoD roster moves Twitch / Call of Duty100 Thieves and Team Envy roster changes are likely to be underway, as new information suggests that Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov has been dropped from the Envy lineup. Apathy already dropped from Team Envy? Leading into CWL London, the pro teams have a transfer window in which they can make roster moves in preparation for the event. It appears that roster moves between 100 Thieves and Team Envy have been confirmed to be underway, as Team Envy’s Apathy removed the team from his Twitter bio, replacing it with simply ‘Pro Call of Duty player for ?’. I seriously appreciate all the kind words > — ApaTea (@Apathy_BZ) April 13, 2019 Apathy had also revealed the potential roster move on April 11, when he tweeted that he made a lot of mistakes in his professional Call of Duty career and that he needed to be “more selfish”. Following this, it appears that the roster move is a done deal, after some of the pro players slipped up by revealing that Apathy was indeed dropped, during 100 Thieves’ Fero’s livestream. Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price stated that he had used his Twitch Prime sub on Apathy, to which Midnight player Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresivic responded “And, you dropped him”, – just before Fero could warn the player’s that they were audible on his livestream. Fero and Decemate to Team Envy confirmed? The suspected additions to Team Envy are likely to be 100 Thieves’ Fero and, former G2 player Decemate, two players who were new to pro scene in the WWII season, when they made a name for themselves playing together on eRa Eternity. This was rumored to be Envy’s new roster move in place of Assault and Apathy, when Fero retweeted an old image of Decemate from their time under together under eRa, with the caption as “[That’s] my duo.” Assault and (now potentially former) teammate SiLLY got in to a war of words on Twitter, debating why the team had failed up to this point in Black Ops 4, further indicating that a change is imminent. Team Envy will be hoping to put their poor performances behind them as they try to build another championship caliber team, after picking-up the Evil Geniuses 2018 World Championship-winning roster. It is still unknown which team Assault and Apathy will go to in advance of CWL London, although the speculation seems to suggest they will rejoin Evil Geniuses.

LIRIK finds hilarious boat glitch in Blackout beta – Dexerto
LIRIK finds hilarious boat glitch in Blackout beta American streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid found an amusing bug while in an intense game on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta. LIRIK was exploring the Hydro Dam location in the north-east corner of the map when he noticed that the storm was coming in much quicker than he anticipated. Thinking fast, Zahid ran to the water, hoping to make a quick getaway in the speedboat parked by the dock. There was one problem, however – the boat was upside-down! LIRIK was able to drive away in the boat while it was still the wrong way up, but was concerned about his character drowning, shouting “Am I going to lose breath!?” while he attempted to escape the incoming storm. Zahid had problems steering the vessel as well, realising that the controls had been inverted due to the boat’s upside-down condition just seconds before he crashed into a rock. Thankfully, the impact seemed to right LIRIK’s boat, with the American joking: “that’s how you do it!” as he sped towards the safe zone. The Blackout game mode is currently in a beta state, so glitches like this are to be expected. By allowing players the opportunity to test the newest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Treyarch can use real-time feedback from players regarding improvements and bugs that need addressing. Blackout is Call of Duty’s answer to the popular battle royale genre that has taken over gaming in the last couple of years. The beta is only available on PlayStation 4 right now, but Xbox One and PC players will be able to try it out on Friday, September 14.

LIRIK exposes “dumb” overpowered combo in Modern Warfare – Dexerto
LIRIK exposes “dumb” overpowered combo in Modern Warfare Popular Twitch streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid couldn’t believe what he was seeing after exposing a ridiculously overpowered class in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Since the newly released Modern Warfare title announced its cross-platform capabilities, many of the top streamers have returned to Call of Duty to test their skills on the new game. Although LIRIK had only streamed the new title a few times since its release on November 26, he quickly found himself uncovering one of the most overpowered classes in Call of Duty. The popular streamer had selected the classic Riot Shield, RPG and C4 combo which saw a lot of use in some of the previous Modern Warfare titles. It did not take him long to realize how powerful his choice of arsenal would be, marching through the middle of the map deflecting bullets while also picking up some explosive kills on unsuspecting players. “Oh my god, I would f**king rage quit,” he admitted, before later laughing about how absurd some of his kills were, “are you kidding me right now, what the f**k is this? This is so dumb.” Some of the opposing players tried to give LIRIK a taste of his own medicine by lobbing C4’s at him while he was marching towards them, but instead, his Riot Shield seemed to deflect all of the damage, killing the enemies without him even having to fire a bullet in certain cases. After deciding to embrace what many CoD players would consider a “noob class,” LIRIK took things one step further and began to camp in the central building, luring even more unsuspecting opponents into his remote C4 traps while hiding behind the safety of his riot shield. LIRIK explained that although he was picking up easy kills with the explosive class set, he would not like to experience coming up against an opponent with a similar class if he was using some of the more standard CoD weapons such as ARs and SMGs, “I would be so upset.” One of his fellow streamers, shroud, also had some problems with Modern Warfare features ruining his fun recently, although he was frustrated with having to deal with tanks in Ground War and was even considering starting a petition to get rid of them.

Lil Jon clowned by Scump, Karma for his CoD skills at Vanguard world premiere – Dexerto
Lil Jon clowned by Scump, Karma for his CoD skills at Vanguard world premiere Activision / Twitch: ScumpWhile the Call of Duty Vanguard World Premiere was supposed to highlight this year’s new release, Lil Jon stole the show with his hilarious gameplay, and stars like Scump and Karma couldn’t hold back their laughter. To celebrate the release of CoD Vanguard, Activision hosted a World Premiere event on November 3 featuring some big celebs. What started with CouRage missing all his shots in an early campaign run, then led to a multiplayer showcase with various rappers, CDL pros, and streamers going head to head. From Big Sean to Lil Tecca and Cellium and SlahseR, lobbies were stacked with big names and talented stars across the board. Though one player in particular looked as though he was holding a controller for the first time. Lil Jon set the internet on fire with his hilarious POV session. Not only were fans cracking jokes about his gameplay, so too were many of CoD’s biggest names. Lil Jon is ready to join the 12th CDL team 😤pic.twitter.com/LJggIzG1op — DEXERTO Intel (@DexertoIntel) November 4, 2021 All up, the rapper managed to secure one kill across roughly 30 minutes of action. But his K/D ratio alone isn’t what had everyone in stitches; it was Lil Jon’s moment-to-moment gameplay that had many “begging” for a dedicated stream of his footage. “He just mounted off spawn, what’s he doing?” Methodz joked in Scump’s own Twitch stream. The entire group erupted in laughter as Lil Jon tried to hone in his aim with absolutely no threat nearby. “Look at him, what’s he doing?” the veterans asked during the next map as Lil Jon repeated the same tactic to no avail. “I love it,” Scump said while in tears as the celeb started shooting at walls, trucks, and even just thin air. “I’m a drinker, not a gamer,” Lil Jon responded on Twitter once the comedy act came to a close. “Star of the show,” competitive legend Karma chimed in to thank him for the laughs. Although we only got to see a few maps from the rising CoD star Lil Jon, he certainly left an impression. For many, his antics were the highlight of the Vanguard World Premiere. If you’re trying to replicate his next-level gameplay, be sure to brush up on everything there is to know about Vanguard before jumping in.

LG’s John suffers major glitches during crucial match vs OpTic Gaming at CWL Vegas – Dexerto
LG’s John suffers major glitches during crucial match vs OpTic Gaming at CWL Vegas Luminosity star Johnathon ‘John’ Perez has claimed he suffered an “unacceptable” number of glitches during the team’s Winners Round 1 match vs OpTic Gaming, which they lost 3-0. The 2016 World Champion MVP took to Twitter following their defeat, pointing out that he’s not typically the type “to bitch on twitter”, but with the importance of the first event being so high, felt it was necessary to bring attention to the issues. Not only did he suffer multiple glitches, he also experienced them in every round of the Search and Destroy game, which OpTic win in a convincing 6-0. I’m not one to bitch on twitter but the amount of glitches I just got against OG is unacceptable …… Especially how important the 1st event is and before I start explaining I have never got them this consistently back 2 back 2 back legit every round in SnD and control. — Johnathan Perez (@LG_J0hn) December 9, 2018 John goes on to explain a total of three separate glitches which affected him, the first being his trophy system randomly disappearing from his class setup. “We would start a round in SnD and you can clearly see I have a damn trophy. I know sometimes the game bugs & when the next round start it shows you have a trophy but sometimes randomly would disappear at the beginning of a round. Bullshit but we know this happens…..” One example of this happening can perhaps be seen at the start of the third round. Indicated by the small hexagon next to John’s player card, you can see that he spawns in with full equipment charge, but this randomly reverts to zero equipment charge. John’s second complain was that his Tactical Mask perk was not working properly, with him being affected by stun grenades as normal, stunned for six seconds rather than the one second which tac mask should reduce it to. 2nd I have tac mask on all my classes and I was still getting stunned the full 6 seconds so the game was taking away my trophies and tac mask didn’t work. Like wtf are you supposed to do — Johnathan Perez (@LG_J0hn) December 9, 2018 There is very compelling evidence of the glitch taking place in the second round of the match, where John has tac mask equipped but is affected by the stun grenade for at least five seconds, before being taken out. John and the rest of LG now drop down to the losers bracket and will have to fight their way through a gruelling run of matches with no more second chances. They will face 100 Thieves to guarantee top 8. These glitches are major, but OpTic’s match performance was dominant nonetheless, and still look like the team to beat on championship Sunday.

Lethal one-shot sniper loadout dominates Warzone Rebirth Island – Dexerto
Lethal one-shot sniper loadout dominates Warzone Rebirth Island ActivisionThis one-shot sniper loadout can cause huge headaches for enemies in Warzone, especially on Rebirth Island, with fast speeds and a lethal TTK making it near-impossible to counter if you hit your shots. The MORS sniper, first introduced to Call of Duty in 2014’s Advanced Warfare and finally back in the game for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone a decade later, has become an instant hit among players, and it’s easy to see why. Despite clear issues holding it back, with an optic misalignment problem that the devs have promised a fix for, the MORS has already been tearing lobbies up in both Warzone and multiplayer. With this build though, you can do some serious damage on the returning Rebirth Island, able to keep up with the fast-paced, frenetic style of the map due to its fast ADS, good mobility and, most significantly, its one-shot potential. Here’s the one-shot MORS class dominating Rebirth Island: Barrel: Tonne Heavy Barrel – Stock: Superlite-90 – Bolt: Quick Bolt – Rear Grip: OP-980 Grip – Ammunition: HVP Anti-Material Slug – This build should keep things fairly quick, while the Slug ammunition rounds give you infinite range across the map. Alternatively, if you wanted to further improve your accuracy and speed with the gun, you could swap them out for the SL Razorhawk Laser Sight. This class is a one-shot down at any range, regardless of whether the player is fully-plated, providing you hit a headshot. It’s worth noting, however, that snipers are tuned in Ranked Resurgence to not be able to one-shot, so this may not be quite as viable in that mode, while this build does differ slightly from our recommended best MORS class in Warzone.

Legendary YouTube gaming network Machinima wipes channel – Dexerto
Legendary YouTube gaming network Machinima wipes channel One of the most recognized brands in gaming entertainment, Machinima, has saddened the community on January 19, by deleting every video from its YouTube channel. First founded in 2000, Machinima (machine cinema), was based on taking video game characters and assets and making short video stories or comedy shorts with them. The brand would go on to become the main network for gaming YouTuber’s, allowing creators to generate an income from their YouTube content by signing a partnership with Machinima. The majority of gaming content creators on YouTube were at one point signed with Machinima, and the official channel soon became the hub for all the most popular gaming content on the platform, garnering over 12 million subscribers. It reached a peak in popularity with the glory days of Call of Duty content on YouTube from 2007 to around 2012, and was the major network behind the surge in ‘gameplay commentaries’. The channel also held streams under its ‘Machinima Live’ show, and entered esports with ‘Machinima Vs’. Perhaps one of the channel’s most beloved shows was ‘Machinima Respawn’, hosted by popular YouTubers Adam ‘SeaNanners” Montaya, Scott ‘Mr Sark’ Robison, and Shaun ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson. The community reacted to the sad news that all of the channel’s content, over a decade worth of videos, had been entirely wiped. #RipMachinima I found gaming on @Youtube through Machinima.. They pioneered everything you see today when it comes to gaming.. I remember dying to be partnered w/ them and looking up to everyone that was :upset: the sad music makes it even sadder… :sob: pic.twitter.com/3ZGRVL3VY4 — Chaos (@Chaosxsilencer) January 19, 2019 Wow… they finally went ahead and deleted everything we’d ever done. 7+ Years of work… lost to the sands of time. #RIPMachinimaMake sure you’re subbed to our new channel that we started after leaving Machinima last june – https://t.co/CdswejOfLJ – thanks pic.twitter.com/H8MEVGHaCq — RickyFTW (@rickyftw) January 19, 2019 In late 2018, Machinima was overtaken by Otter Media, and in turn all Machinima creators were transferred to “Fullscreen”, another Otter Media operated agency. Long time Youtube Staple, Machinima, is dead. Otter Media took over the channel from Warner, and has since deleted all videos off the main channel, which is over a decade of videos perhaps lost forever. A huge inspiration of fledgling Youtube, gone, just like that. #RIPMachinima pic.twitter.com/nSH9s2uECI — TRAFON (@RiseFallNick) January 19, 2019 Big names including FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, and many others, were believed to be partnered with the Machinima multi-channel network (MCN), and were transferred to Fullscreen. However, some creators were not transferred and were instead simply dropped from the MCN altogether, including YouTuber Maximillian Dood, who has almost 1 million subscribers. He was later added to the YouTube Partner Program to continue monetizing his content.

Legendary Counter-Strike org hint at CWL Pro League entry – Dexerto
Legendary Counter-Strike org hint at CWL Pro League entry Famed esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP), best known for their storied history in Counter-Strike 1.6 and Global Offensive, have hinted at a move into Call of Duty esports in 2019. The qualifiers for the CWL Pro League concluded on Sunday, January 20, with all 16 league spots now assigned ahead of matches beginning on February 4. Of the 12 teams which earned their spot through the LAN qualifier, only one did so under no organization, “Team Spacely”, and remain ‘orgless’ with only seven days before organizations are locked in. The team qualified with a 3-3 record in their group, before beating APAC team Tainted Minds, European side Red Reserve and a second APAC squad in Mindfreak to secure their spot, losing only a single map in the three playoff series. They were placed in Division A, alongside the likes of OpTic Gaming, Luminosity and Evil Geniuses, and so are an exciting prospect for any organizations looking to move into Call of Duty and guarantee entry straight into the Pro League. A number of potential suitors have been rumored, but in a surprise move, the Swedish organization NiP have seemingly thrown their hat into the ring for Team Spacely’s signature, with a telling reply to Spacely himself. Spacely seemed receptive to the potential of playing under the Swedish organization too, replying “I think you guys would have a blast”. I think you guys would have a blast :eyes: https://t.co/ylIPqxZ5qE — Spacely – Mike (@SpaceLy) January 22, 2019 Rumors ahead of the qualifier were that Denial Esports, who fielded a world championship winning team in Call of Duty in 2015, had been in discussions to sign Team Spacely. However, with Spacely’s team now guaranteed a spot in the Pro League for the entirety of the Black Ops 4 season, and with a franchised league expected in 2020, big name organizations may look for an easy entry point to Call of Duty esports. NiP, if they are serious about possibly acquiring a Pro League team, may face stiff competition from other organizations whose teams failed to qualify, including FaZe Clan and G2 Esports. Another organization which has directly hinted at acquiring Team Spacely is Rise Nation, who fielded multiple successful rosters in Call of Duty from 2014 – 2018, even winning three major tournaments in the 2018 season before disbanding their team. Legendary CoD sniper Spratt announces move to Warzone from multiplayer – Dexerto
Legendary CoD sniper Spratt announces move to Warzone from multiplayer YouTube: SprattFan favorite YouTuber James “Spratt” announced his intentions to explore new content after dedicating 15 years to Call of Duty multiplayer. Modern Warfare 2 marks the end of an era for yet another iconic CoD community member. First, Seth ‘Scump‘ Abner shocked everyone by announcing his retirement from professional CoD, and then Anthony ‘Methodz‘ Zinni called it a career after 11 years of competing. Adding to a growing list of departures from the scene, Spratt confirmed he is moving on from creating CoD content. The legendary sniper, who previously represented squads like OpTic Gaming and FaZe Clan, started with montages in 2007 on the original Modern Warfare and stuck with the franchise every year since. Spratt explained why he made the decision and what’s next for him in his career. James Spratt moves on from CoD multiplayer content Spratt started creating sniper montages on the original Modern Warfare and grew his audience throughout CoD’s golden era during Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, and Black Ops 2. In his goodbye video, he recalled the highs and lows of his CoD multiplayer career. “Black Ops 3 reignited my passion and love for Call of Duty. I can’t tell you how much I loved that game. That game provided me with that feeling of never wanting to get off, and that is what I loved about Call of Duty.” Every year, Spratt returned to CoD chasing that feeling of wanting to perfect his craft and never get off the game, but unfortunately, his love for the game mode slowly sizzled away. “I have been chasing that feeling probably for a few years now with little to no success. You can’t get that feeling back that you once had with this franchise.” Spratt partly attributed his decision to already achieving everything and growing older but mostly credits multiplayer “not being the same anymore.” “With the Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 roadmap, I think that probably shows where we are heading.” For reference, Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 adds two new multiplayer maps; a remake and a map removed after the beta. He believes Warzone caused the developers to focus less on multiplayer content, forcing him to move on from the game mode. Spratt is not entirely moving on from CoD, as he will be moving into Warzone videos and announced one final sniping montage. “It’s a sad day to be saying goodbye to the Call of Duty multiplayer experience, but I achieved so much, and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

He confirmed: “I am staying in the game industry, working on an undisclosed project I can’t discuss yet, but I am excited about a rare and unique opportunity. Vonderhaar joins a list of COD developers leaving to start new projects. Most recently, Infinity Ward’s Exexecutive Producer, Mark Rubin, left to create XDefiant. Leffen takes aim at Hitch in heated Call of Duty SBMM argument – Dexerto
Leffen takes aim at Hitch in heated Call of Duty SBMM argument YouTube: Leffen / Instagram: hitchariideSkill-based matchmaking (SBMM) was a huge talking point in the recent Black Ops Cold War alpha, and it even caught the attention of Smash Bros. pro William ‘Leffen’ Hjelte, who attacked Team Summertime’s Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards for wanting it to be removed. The Black Ops Cold War Alpha playtest kicked off on September 18 and SBMM immediately set the internet ablaze. It felt far more prevalent than in previous games and therefore, countless pro players and content creators slammed its inclusion in standard playlists. Not long after the action started, the issue had spread across social media, attracting thoughts and opinions from far and wide. Veteran Smash Bros. competitor Leffen even chimed in on the drama; the Swedish pro outlined his stance on the matter, shutting down anyone complaining about SBMM. “Watching people argue that FPS players should in fact, not play people who are as good as them, but people worse than them so they can stroke their ego is so f***ing pathetic,” he said. Naturally, this caught steam within the CoD community and popular content creator Hitch fired back to explain their side of the argument. if you’ve never played FPS games then it makes sense you think this way. so much different than a fighting game. you can casually play pickup basketball with people of all skill levels. you can’t casually play tennis if the skill level is too different. — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) September 19, 2020 “What’s the joy in beating people up who play once every two weeks if you’re playing this shit full time?” Leffen questioned. “It’s very obviously that content creators are trying to trick their audience that you should in fact, not be okay with a system that makes for fair matches.” Taking issue with this approach, Hitch put forward an analogy. He compared the CoD experience to pickup basketball, something that can be played “casually with people of all skill levels.” In Smash Bros, it’s often a 1v1 battle, more comparable to tennis, Hitch explained. “You can’t casually play tennis if the skill level is too different. If you’ve never played FPS games it makes sense you think this way.” Throughout the Cold War alpha, SBMM was extremely effective. If you won a few consecutive games, lobbies would ‘level up’ in a big way. It got to the point where the best competitors were reverse boosting to reach less intense lobbies. This issue is something Leffen would “never be able to understand,” according to Hitch: “The only way he [Leffen] can have fun is if he played the .000000001% of players that [are] around his skill level.” “Of course you’re a pathetic COD content creator who s***s on new players shilling on SBMM,” Leffen fired back. The community is forced into believing SBMM is a huge issue, Leffen continued, but in reality, it’s just the top 1% of players wanting easier lobbies. “Keep gaslighting your 14-year-old audience,” he said. “F***ing humble yourself and try to understand the other side (aka 99% of the player base).” fucking humble yourself and try to understand the other side (aka 99% of the playerbase) instead of running away and jerking off to your shitty clips vs noobs. — TSM Leffen (@TSM_Leffen) September 19, 2020 The two went back and forth on social media throughout the duration of the Cold War alpha. Eventually, Leffen appeared to grow tired of the argument and proceeded to outright block Hitch on Twitter. “The first person to block me on Twitter wasn’t an ex-girlfriend, a CoD troll, an Infinite staff member, or anyone I’ve met,” Hitch joked. “It was Super Smash Brothers Melee player Leffen. What a weird day.”

Details surrounding the next Call of Duty title have leaked ahead of the official reveal event, giving fans a look at Vanguard’s cover art and special editions. Leaks and rumors surrounding the WWII-era title have been popping up for months, but thanks to a recent datamine, we now have official details on the eagerly-anticipated title. While the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 5 update datamine has given players a glimpse at what we can expect when Vanguard release, there are still a lot of details we don’t know. However, one thing we do know, is that Roger Clark – the voice actor behind RDR2’s Arthur Morgan won’t be making an appearance. Update Since writing the original story, Roger Clark has responded to the recent leaks and revealed that he is not appearing in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Responding to Wicked Good Gaming, Roger said that his photoshoot was for an “upcoming feature” based on a WW1 horror. No guys, this was for an upcoming feature. A WWI horror. I’ll share more soon. In the post I said how nice it was to get in front of the camera again. Gaming studios don’t usually go for filming on set, in costume. honored you’re interested in me do something like that tho Cheers — Roger Clark (@rclark98) August 12, 2021 This will likely come as a disappointment to many RDR2 fans who were hoping to see Roger in the game, but we’ll just have to look forward to Roger’s upcoming feature instead. Original story below Arthur Morgan voice actor revealed for Vanguard? Call of Duty has often used famous actors in its campaign modes, with the likes of Kit Harington and Kevin Spacey being just a few of the most notable appearances. However, after Vanguard’s official promotional artwork leaked online, one eagle-eyed fan has spotted a particularly exciting detail. TheRealGamerK posted their findings on the GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit page, where they outlined their rumor. After linking to the recently leaked Vanguard promotional art, the user directed people towards Roger Clark’s Instagram page. Clark is notably known for being the voice behind RDR2’s protagonist, Arthur Morgan. View this post on Instagram “I was lucky enough to get in front of the camera again,” said Roger. “Work is one of the biggest blessings we have. Have a blessed day. Stay tuned…” Of course, like every leak and rumor, this one should be taken with a grain of salt. Leaks Reveal New Blackout Details, Weapon Variants and More in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
Leaks Reveal New Blackout Details, Weapon Variants and More in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 In a set of new leaks about the upcoming Call of Duty title, Black Ops 4, news of weapon and specialist variants as well as new Blackout information has been revealed. This is of course unconfirmed, but the source previously correctly leaked details of the fourth DLC pack for Call of Duty: WWII, so there is a good chance that some or all of this information is accurate. Firstly, details of the ‘Specialist Stories’ Black Ops 4 was revealed, which are intended to give some backstory to the multiplayer specialist characters. But in addition to this, a new mode, weapon and specialist variants, in-game events and features coming to the Blackout battle royale mode have been discovered. This information was posted to by a Reddit user, but comes originally from a YouTube channel named The Wew Lads. Note, this information is not confirmed, and could change prior to release. Weapons [Treyarch] have developed two new weapons which weren’t in the beta: · A small launcher – somewhat similar to the Blackcell in appearance and may be lock-on only. · An assault rifle with angular lines on its receiver and curved iron sites. 600Events [Treyarch] have been developing variants of weapons and specialists under the theme of “Day of the Dead” and “Halloween”. This includes a Halloween themed supply drop – although this could change as Activision and Treyarch still make decisions on how to handle microstransactions in this game. Image of themed specialists. Variant of the of the VAPR-XKG (Artist’s rendition) – Variant of the MX9 (Artist’s rendition) – New Mode: “Outboarding” NOTE: This mode may have been cut and replaced by Specialist Stories Mode, leakers are uncertain. A training/tutorial mode. – Features Sgt. Frank Woods and Reznov. Woods wakes up from some sort of simulation, perhaps ran by the Specialist Organisation. – Blackout Cracked and Array from BO1 have been remastered into Blackout areas. – There are doors, just like in PUBG and Fortnite, which can be opened and closed. – Scavengeables like in Heist mode. – While it’s aimed to have zombies present in some areas – such as Verrückt – this may not make it into the Blackout beta. – Some people have datamined that there are 100 players in Blackout. These are slots they used for testing but doesn’t necessarily mean the mode supports it. – You do, in fact, parachute into the map after gliding in on a wingsuit. – Some of this information lines up with what was seen in the Blackout trailer, for example the wingsuit. Zombies have also been confirmed to feature in some way in Blackout, but this could simply mean that maps or weapons from Zombies will be used, not necessarily actual Zombies. It is confirmed that characters from Zombies will be playable in Blackout. Some of this information will be proven true or false when the Blackout beta launches on September 10.

Leaks reveal CoD 2023 will bring back popular zombies mode – Dexerto
Leaks reveal CoD 2023 will bring back popular zombies mode Sledgehammer GamesZombies fans may finally have their prayers answered, as a CoD 2023 leak revealed Zombies is returning. Infinity Ward excluded a Zombies game mode from Modern Warfare 2. The development team did take one crack at creating a zombie mode in the past with Infinite Warfare. Community members praised the studio’s efforts in putting its own spin on Treyarch’s beloved universe. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Sledgehammer Games’ history with zombies. CoD Vanguard controversially removed round-based gameplay in favor of focusing on completing objectives, and community members labeled it a “dumpster fire.” Sledgehammer might get a second chance at getting in the good graces of passionate Zombies fans, given that the studio is believed to be taking the lead for CoD 2023. CoD 2023 leak reveals long-awaited zombies return On May 9, Insider Gaming revealed: “Zombies will be coming to Call of Duty 2023 on launch, but what exactly that entails remains to be seen.” Video game insider Tom Henderson previously reported: “Zombies will not be traditionally round-based, but instead be coming to the game in a different mode.” That news will disappoint community members who slammed removing the traditional system in Vanguard. This especially holds true since Sledgehammer listened to community feedback and went back to round-based maps at the end of the game’s life cycle. A recent report from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier also won’t instill much confidence. According to the journalist, “Some at Sledgehammer Games are worried about the development because of the shortened period they’ve had to work on it, only starting on the project one year ago, but they have support from Treyarch and Infinity Ward on the project.” Sledhammer’s development on Vanguard suffered from a shortened development period, and the game underperformed. Insider Games revealed that CoD 2023 will have its reveal at the beginning of August, and the game fully launches on November 10.

Leaks reveal CoD 2022 will be sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 – Dexerto
Leaks reveal CoD 2022 will be sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 ActivisionWith Call of Duty: Vanguard primed to release, CoD 2022 leaks are arriving, revealing that CoD 2022 is internally known as “Project Cortez” and is slated to be a Modern Warfare 2019 sequel. If you’re a CoD jetpacks fan or a Call of Duty League pro player, this might not be an article you want to keep reading. With Vanguard’s release under a month away, industry insider Tom Henderson has revealed some details about the franchise’s 2022 installment. Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare released with Warzone in 2019, then Treyarch released Black Ops Cold War in 2020, and Sledgehammer Games are leading the pack for Vanguard in 2021 (built on MW19’s engine). Now, following NVIDIA GeForce NOW leaks, Henderson claims 2022’s title will be a sequel to MW19. Interesting news, given how successful yet divisive the game was among the community. It looks like Call of Duty: 2022 is codenamed Project Cortez It’s expected to be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) September 13, 2021 Originally, people noticed a number of unreleased, formerly undisclosed games using a testing page for NVIDIA GeForce NOW. Among those was a new CoD title: “Project Cortez — Activision Blizzard — Infinity Ward.” This information has since been corroborated by Henderson, who explained that the franchise’s 2022 title is internally known as “Project Cortez” and that it is “expected to be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019.” MW2019 sequel campaign details leaked? A report from VGC that came out shortly after the above leak also gave players some details regarding what to expect in the 2022 Call of Duty title. They said: “According to people with knowledge of Activision’s plans, Modern Warfare’s sequel will include a campaign involving US special forces fighting a covert war against Columbian drug cartels.” While this isn’t a lot to go off of, it does give us some insight into where the campaign and multiplayer are headed. Overall, MW19 was possibly the most successful CoD title ever, as the game’s release with Warzone has earned millions upon millions of players. The gameplay mechanics, like movement and gunplay, are widely beloved — but pro players weren’t pleased with a number of aspects. Namely, CDL pros largely dismissed mechanics like doors and weapon mounting, while also questioning the game’s spawns and map pool. So, if you’re one such disgruntled pro or simply someone hoping for a return to the jetpack era of CoD, Project Cortez might not be exciting news. For millions of players though, it’s a chance to improve upon what was a beloved title.

Leaks Claim 2019 Call of Duty Will Be Modern Warfare 4, Developed By Infinity Ward – Dexerto
Leaks Claim 2019 Call of Duty Will Be Modern Warfare 4, Developed By Infinity Ward Following the news that a number of previous Infinity Ward employees have returned to the studio, an insider source has claimed that they are working on Call of Duty: Modern warfare 4 for release in 2019. It seems that the hype train for future Call of Duty titles is somewhat getting ahead of itself, as only days after the worldwide reveal of 2018’s Black Ops 4, there is already speculation about what is coming in 2019. The rumors come only shortly after the news broke of a number of members of the original Infinity Ward team (which developed CoD 4 and MW2) had returned to the studio, departing Respawn entertainment. More: Treyarch Dev Says Future CoD Games Could Have Campaign; Has No Idea What Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer Are Doing – Officially, the only insight so far into what is coming is a Tweet from Infinity Ward’s Studio Art Director Joel Emslie, stating that the “next game will be insane”. So much dev firepower at IW. So much talent. Next game will be insane! — Joel Emslie (@JoelEmslie1) January 5, 2018 However, as reported by GamingIntel, Infinity Ward is developing the fourth instalment in the fan favorite Modern Warfare series, following on from 2011’s Modern Warfare 3. “One of Gaming INTEL’s exclusive sources has said that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will be the next title, by Infinity Ward, to release in 2019. Our sources stated that Call of Duty would release as a “fully fledged” Call of Duty title, with a campaign that is already being worked on, the customary Call of Duty Multiplayer experience and the return of its Zombies mode. This source also said that Battle Royale was being discussed for Modern Warfare 4, but at that point, it was merely discussions.” They also highlight the slight slip up from voice actor Craig Fairbrass, who claimed in his Twitter bio that he had worked on ‘Modern Warfare 1/2/3/4’. Although Fairbrass later attempted to shut down speculation, saying that the ‘4’ was in reference to 2017’s Modern Warfare remastered. Bit of confusion and over reaction here, as I’ve always had the 5 COD games I’ve worked on, on my mini bio on twitter- any clarification need just look on IMDB. — Craig Fairbrass (@craigfairbrass) March 21, 2018 Gaming Intel’s claims have been backed up by Call of Duty news website CharlieIntel, who’s reputation for insider information is well documented. …This lines up with information that charlieINTEL has heard about Infinity Ward’s next Call of Duty title. — charlieINTEL.com • Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) May 20, 2018 Of course at this early stage it is very possible that this information does not hold up, but considering the recent recruitment activity at Infinity Ward, and the successful reception of a fourth entry in the Black Ops series, it is likely that MW4 could be on the way. More: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode Is Unlikely To Overthrow Fortnite According To Analyst – We are unlikely to get any official word on this until early 2019, when Activision and Infinity Ward will begin to ramp up promotion for whatever the next title is to be. It is also possible that the rumored Modern Warfare 2 remaster would be packaged with the 2019 Call of Duty, in what will be the 10 year anniversary of the legendary game.

Leaker reveals multiplayer files found in Modern Warfare 2 remastered – Dexerto
Leaker reveals multiplayer files found in Modern Warfare 2 remastered Infinity WardCall of Duty data miner and YouTuber ‘TheGamingRevolution’ has revealed that new files hinting at a multiplayer mode were found within Modern Warfare 2 Remastered’s campaign. While the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been extremely successful, particularly with the addition of Warzone, plenty of fans were still hoping for more from the classic CoD franchise. After rumors began spreading around MW2 returning with a remaster in 2018, it was finally released on March 30, however, many nostalgic CoD fans were disappointed for there not to be a remastered multiplayer mode as well. Multiplayer files in Campaign Prominent Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution, who has correctly shared leaks on the remastered title in the past, revealed in his latest video that there were a lot of clues for a multiplayer mode found in the remastered campaign’s files. The YouTuber first highlighted that the download size itself was too big for just the campaign release, adding, “The game is 65gb on PC so obviously they left in a bunch of the multiplayer stuff they were working on within the files of the game.” The PC version of MW2 Remastered was made available on April 30, so files have only been uncovered now. TheGamingRevolution then shared some images of the game files. They reference custom classes, game modes, leaderboards, Prestiges, and even some new camos such as Dark Matter and Diamond that were not previously available in Modern Warfare 2. Topic starts at 1:50 for mobile users. TGR continued to highlight some more of the references found, with all of the game modes and perks listed as well as a mention of a season pass, similar to one currently available in Modern Warfare. While there was supposedly much more hidden in the campaign’s download, he shared that a multiplayer exe application file was also found in the game files by fellow leaker GunofTZ, suggesting that they had been working on a remastered multiplayer at some point. https://twitter.com/xXNanikosXx/status/1256158293539434497 Although files were reported to have been found it is unclear if they have any intention of releasing multiplayer in the future or if these files were just left there after Activision previously announced that a multiplayer mode was unlikely. TheGamingRevolution revealed that while he is unsure of whether or not this will be released, he does not think it will be anytime soon over fears of splitting the player base with the latest title, Modern Warfare.

Leaker reveals further CoD 2020 details: Battle Royale & more – Dexerto
Leaker reveals further CoD 2020 details: Battle Royale & more Graphics: Treyarch/ActivisionCall of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has revealed some details about CoD 2020 and 2021 – with the possibility that the next installment could be missing a popular feature. Call of Duty fans from around the globe have been sinking their teeth into Modern Warfare ever since it was released back in October, however, there are always rumors and speculation about what is coming next. Thankfully, prior to the release of Modern Warfare, a Kotaku report gave fans a little bit of insight into what they can expect with the Call of Duty title in 2020 – claiming that it would be returning to the Black Ops series. Now though, TheGamingRevolution has added further claims into what fans can expect. During his March 18 YouTube upload, the CoD leaker revealed some insight into what is coming next with details about Black Ops 5 with the return of Zombies, a Cold War story for the campaign, and a few tweaks to multiplayer. However, the YouTuber also noted that there might not be an all-new battle royale for fans to get their hands on but that they would, instead, be still playing Call of Duty: Warzone. “YouTubers were apparently told at the Warzone capture event that Warzone is going to be the last battle royale for Call of Duty,” the leaker said, but admitted that plans could change even though his sources have heard “nothing about battle royale.” Timestamp for mobile viewers of 24:55 Free-to-play CoD in 2021? He speculated that it might be due to the fact that Sledgehammer Games are working on a supposed free-to-play title that should be released alongside the 2021 Call of Duty title. According to the leaker, this game is set to be some sort of open-world game with “a lot” of battle royale elements. Though, it would be a spin-off from the Call of Duty franchise as a whole. Of course, though TheGamingRevolution has been proven to be reliable with information in the past, these games are still months and even years away, so plans could very well change. For now, however, it appears as if Call of Duty fans will just have to keep playing through Warzone until potential new information comes to the surface.

Leaker claims to reveal details of Modern Warfare 4 – MW2 Remastered, battle royale and more – Dexerto
Leaker claims to reveal details of Modern Warfare 4 – MW2 Remastered, battle royale and more Infinity WardAn anonymous source who claims to be a former Quality Assurance tester at Treyarch, has posted a lengthy Reddit thread with information which they claim to be genuine, about Infinity Ward’s upcoming Call of Duty title. It should be noted from the outset that this source is highly dubious, with little to verify their claims, and even if it is genuine insider information, all of it will be subject to change ahead of the game’s release. We already know that Call of Duty 2019 will be ‘rooted in franchise history’, which most fans have taken to mean it will be Modern Warfare 4, and at this point it seems all but certain that will be the case. Activision have also confirmed that the upcoming game will include a single player campaign, a large multiplayer mode and a co-op experience. This leaker, who says they left the QA team at Treyarch due to poor treatment, claims to have spoken with other QA testers at Activision/Infinity Ward, which is their channel to the information given. They confirm that “Modern Warfare 4 is the name”, and that it will come with the campaigns of Modern Warfare 2 and 3, remastered. The multiplayer portions of these games may come later, but the leaker claims that Activision wants to avoid splitting the player base immediately. The full Reddit post can be found below. Again, it must be noted that these claims cannot be verified, and there is no evidence to suggest the leaker is who they claim to be. They have since deleted their Reddit account, apparently at the behest of Activision, but the post itself remains available. Some of the highlight points from the post include: MW2 and MW3 campaigns remastered (multiplayer possibly released post-launch). – No specialists. – Raven Studios working on a mode similar to ‘War’ from CoD: WWII and helping with new co-op survival mode. – No battle royale mode. – MW4 campaign set before MW2. – Infected, Search and Rescue, Gun Game available at launch. – Tactical Nuke returning (will not end objective game modes). – Pro Perks returning. – I had a while post over on the black ops 4 sub but was deleted, but basically I worked at QA and quit 2 weeks ago due to how Treyarch treated us. From what I’ve heard from other QA testers, please take this with a grain of salt. Modern warfare 4 is the name. – will come with MW2 & MW3 remastered, campaign only but there was talk of Multiplayer being released on both throughout the year. They don’t want to drop 3 different games with 3 different multiplayers all at once. – supply drops are still there unfortunately but it’s the same system as Infinite Warfares – DLC model is different from Black ops 4 it’ll be 15 maps for the pass with free maps rolling out through the lifecycle, free monthly cod points, dlc weapons go to season pass holders for free, access to beta for content (new maps, war maps) extra login bonus and 4 special character costumes. Was also being talked about releasing all maps free and having no DLC pass but a cheaper pass which includes everything listed above except maps which would be free. – A mode like WW2s War mode which will be developed by Raven. Will launch with 3 base maps for it and they are different in a way as to how War worked in WW2. – Customization wise, obviously camos but the interesting part is the character customization. You can change your head accessories(ex. Beanie, hats, helmets etc..) Torso(shirts, vest etc..) legs, feet and gloves. – Absolutely 100% guarantee NO specialists in terms of bo3, IW and bo4s. Think MW3 specialist. – Killstreaks are similar to MW2/MW3 – plenty of original guns from the MW series – No Battle Royale, it was obviously being talked about seeing the success of blackout Activision wanted to keep building on it but the playerbase has dropped drastically since January even more so after the Release of Apex Legends – Campaign is set before MW2s events that’s all I know about campaign. Will have coop play and a camo/reward system for playing to encourage people to play – Will have keys like IW to unlock supply drops but will also reward 1-3 random players after every match like WW2. – The new co-op mode is a survival based mode BUT it’s more like an open world, think battle royale type maps(huge maps). You will have level progression for certain unlocks(guns, attachments etc..) the objective is to kill, collect certain things, will have a skill tree system. This is being worked on by Raven also along with infinity Ward. Will come with 1 map at launch as far as I know with plans of releasing one every other month. The last time I heard anything about this mode was early last year so a lot could have changed. No name for it as of then. – Let’s talk about multiplayer modes, the usuals are returning. Infected on launch with search and rescue also. Gun game, wager matches for keys, demolition and more. – Continuous stream of content over the year different from Black ops 4 instead of tiers you just have to complete challenges for the rewards (ex. Kill 100 players with X gun to unlock Y gun. – Tactical Nuke is returning, will not end objective based modes. – Campaign is set to be 7-8 hours long on normal difficulty. – Pro perks will return. – From the sounds of it Infinity Ward wants to be as interactive with the community as much as possible this year to make a wonderful cod game that can be played and updated through the years. They will be hosting dev vs community contest with rewards. Weekly streams to talk about new content coming as well as weekly updates for the game as needed. The last I heard the teasers will be rolling out during Mid-End march and full reveal in April. Sorry for the long post, when Activision said this is the best Call of Duty built they meant it and plan on it being the most content packed. These new Battle Royale games dropping are taking a huge chunk out of revenue and Activision wants Call of Duty back on top so expect a more consumer friendly way of things from now on. While none of this information is verifiable, neither does it stray too far from the realms of possibility, especially given the small teasers which Activision gave in its latest earnings call. A teaser for the new game can be expected for around April 2019, or perhaps as early as March, if previous years are anything to go by. Black Ops 4 released a month earlier than normal, on October 12, 2018, but this was likely in part to the release of Red Dead Redemption on October 26. With no heavyweight competition like this in 2019, Call of Duty may return to its more traditional November release.

Leaker claims Modern Warfare will have three types of streaks, including Specialist Streaks – Dexerto
Leaker claims Modern Warfare will have three types of streaks, including Specialist Streaks Infinity WardIt appears that Specialist Streaks could be making a surprise return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, according to new information released by an infamous leaker. With the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare title just months away from release, the buzzing Call of Duty community continues to starve for more details about the game’s Multiplayer side of things. However, the global reveal of Multiplayer isn’t happening until August 1, which means that players have had to resort to getting their news from those who claim to have insider information about the game. One such person is YouTuber ‘TheGamingRevolution,’ who’s established himself as a prominent source for supposedly leaked MW content. His latest leak came on July 16, and it was about the apparent return of Specialist Streaks: “Specialist Streaks are back. Big changes are happening lads.” Specialist streaks are back. Big changes are happening lads#ModernWarfare — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) July 16, 2019 Specialist Streaks were a mechanic first introduced in Modern Warfare 3 and later in Ghosts, adding another dimension to unlocking streaks in Multiplayer. Unlike traditional streaks, Specialist Streaks rewarded players with additional Perks whenever they accumulated a certain number of points in a row without dying. Players who achieved the maximum point streaks would unlock all of the Perks during the match, giving them a significant boost in ability and power over their opponents. However, Specialist Streaks haven’t been seen in Call of Duty since Ghosts, with unlockable streaks reverting back to just equipment and support. As a result, players could only use a limited amount of Perks per match, as the special abilities would only come into affect when they were equipped on an active class. That being said, Specialist Streaks will apparently not be the only form of streaks in Modern Warfare. According to the YouTuber, the game will also feature traditional equipment and support as both scorestreaks and killstreaks, giving players three different sets of things to unlock during matches. There’s killstreaks, scorestreaks, & specialist streaks in Modern Warfare. I’ll update you in a video tomorrow, some exciting stuff!#ModernWarfare — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) July 17, 2019 Of course, there is no way of knowing if any of what the YouTuber has leaked to be legitimate or true, other than waiting for the global reveal event on August 1 to get the details from the horse’s mouth. However, TheGamingRevolution has earned himself some credibility in the community, having correctly disclosed the existence of the 2v2 Gunfight mode that was later shown by Infinity Ward themselves. In the past several weeks, he’s come out with a lot of leaked details about MW, such as the potential list of Perks, killstreaks, competitive modes, and the number of maps and weapons. Whether or not those turn out to be accurate, only time will tell, and there’s not that much longer to wait anyway.

Leaker claims Modern Warfare will have an insane number of maps and guns at launch – Dexerto
Leaker claims Modern Warfare will have an insane number of maps and guns at launch Infinity WardThe upcoming Modern Warfare title will not have any shortage of content at launch, according to the latest major leak in the world of Call of Duty. There are just about three months remaining until the highly-anticipated release of Modern Warfare on October 25, and details about Multiplayer still remain clouded at this point. While Infinity Ward gave players a first true glimpse of the multiplayer in their July 11 reveal of the new 2v2 Gunfight mode, many continue to rely on leaks, rumors, and speculation to keep updated. One who’s established himself as a prominent source for supposed leaks is YouTuber ‘TheGamingRevolution,’ who dropped another major tidbit of information on July 11. According to the latest leak, Modern Warfare will apparently have an exorbitant amount of maps and weapons in the game when it launches There are around 20 maps and 50 weapons in the game right now. My source underestimated before. I don’t know if some will be held back for after launch, but apparently not. This is not even including the large maps playlist. Phenomenal.— TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) July 11, 2019 In fact, according to the YouTuber, the content doesn’t stop there. He went on to say the MW will also feature both a War and battle royale mode, as well as a large maps playlist, over 200 cooperative Spec-Ops missions, and more. We’re getting War, Battle Royale, a large maps playlist, CO-OP with over 200 spec ops missions, also 8v8 & 16v16 PvPvE modes in CO-OP too… this is unheard of in Call of Duty — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) July 11, 2019 Of course, there is no way to know whether any of this leaked information is legitimate until it gets officially announced by either Activision or Infinity Ward. However, for what it’s worth, TheGamingRevolution has established at least some credibility within the CoD community after his previously leaked Gunfight mode was later confirmed to exist in MW. He’s also been responsible for leaking heaps of new details about MW multiplayer, such as all of the Perks, Killstreaks, and competitive modes that will apparently be in the upcoming title, including a brand new “reverse-CTF” mode. Modern Warfare multiplayer global reveal event announced Players who are starving for information about MW multiplayer won’t have to stay hungry for too much longer, as Activision finally announced the date for the global reveal stream, which is not too far away! They even gave a preview of what to expect in the game’s multiplayer by letting popular streamers unveil the Gunfight mode to the world, which, admittedly, drew some mixed feedback. However, there are still a lot of questions that remain unanswered, so the best thing to do at this point is to just wait for the developers to show us what everyone is in store for come October.

Leaker claims Modern Warfare beta has hidden game mode – Dexerto
Leaker claims Modern Warfare beta has hidden game mode Infinity WardPopular YouTuber and Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has claimed that Infinity Ward have hidden custom games inside the beta for Modern Warfare. The cross-platform beta for Modern Warfare is now live, allowing players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to compete against each other for the first time in the franchise’s illustrious history. Players are currently able to take on their foes in Headquarters, Team Deathmatch, Cyber Attack, and Gunfight modes, but according to TheGamingRevolution, the game’s developers have hidden custom games inside the beta. In a tweet posted on September 19, TheGamingRevolution explained that the beta has an unsolved “Easter egg,” which would grant players access to custom games. According to the leaker, the mode would have “all weapons available, all modes, all perks, (and) all killstreaks,” but would presumably only include the maps that are currently featured in the game, and not the full list of them. As to how players can unlock it, the YouTuber states: “It is something that requires a button combination in the menu,” although he didn’t reveal what players would have to do to gain access. The unsolved Easter egg in the Modern Warfare Beta is getting access to custom game, with all weapons available, all modes, all perks, all killstreaks. It is something that requires a button combination in the menu. #ModernWarfare — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) September 20, 2019 Infinity Ward have yet to confirm TheGamingRevolution’s claim, but he has leaked incredibly accurate Modern Warfare information in the past, successfully revealing that the game would have a 2v2 mode named Gunfight, and was right about the beta having a level cap of 10 upon launch. Modern Warfare wouldn’t be the first title to use button combinations to unlock things in the main menu, with the legendary Konami Code, which gave players 30 extra lives on the NES version of Contra, still a popular joke among gamers. At the time of writing, nobody has been able to crack the alleged code, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated if anyone manages to figure out the combination.

Leaker claims Infinity Ward’s CoD 2022 will be called Modern Warfare II – Dexerto
Leaker claims Infinity Ward’s CoD 2022 will be called Modern Warfare II ActivisionReputable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has revealed the bizarre working title for Infinity Ward’s CoD 2022, claiming it is ‘Modern Warfare II’ – the exact same name given to IW’s 2009 title. Despite Call of Duty Vanguard not yet being released, CoD fans are already taking an interest in what is to come in 2022 from studio Infinity Ward. Details are still scarce, but a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare is thought to be in the works. The MW reboot received mixed feedback from players, with its weapons and engine praised, but its maps and spawns leaving plenty to be desired. Leaks have previously revealed the game’s code name to be Project Cortez, but details have now confirmed the game’s working title, and it’s one to leave players scratching their heads. Tom Henderson – previously known as LongSensation – has correctly leaked multiple details regarding CoD titles in the past. On October 9, he turned his attention to CoD 2022, revealing that its title in ‘Modern Warfare II’. That’s right, CoD 2022 will supposedly have the exact same name as the acclaimed 2009 title; the one many still consider to be the most enjoyable CoD of all time. He also appears to have had a glance at some of the game’s artwork, describing it as “f**king amazing”. I can confirm that the 2022 title is called “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” And the art work looks fucking amazing. pic.twitter.com/PWw5CRIpr1 — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) October 9, 2021 Given that the game is still in development and a long way from release, its name could change yet. This will remain unconfirmed until Activision reveals the final title in the game’s promo. However, it seems almost inevitable that we will be getting a Modern Warfare sequel. Here’s hoping it will be as fun as the 2009 Modern Warfare 2.

Leaker claims big mini-map changes & Modern Warfare overhaul coming soon – Dexerto
Leaker claims big mini-map changes & Modern Warfare overhaul coming soon Prominent Call of Duty leaker ‘TheGamingRevoYT’ has divulged more information about what’s coming soon in Modern Warfare, including changes to the mini-map and a major “overhaul.” Based on the community’s early feedback since the release of Modern Warfare on October 25, the game is far from perfect, with players complaining about a variety of things that they consider need improving. One of the more oft-discussed aspects of the game is the mini-map, and how it functions – an issue which actually stems all the way back to when the Beta was released in mid-September. At first, the game didn’t even have a mini-map, although Infinity Ward ended up caving in quickly and adding it back in during the first Beta weekend. However, they did not turn on red dots being shown where enemies were firing, unless there was a UAV in the air, and it has stayed that way through the release of the full version of the game. However, according to new information put out on Twitter by TheGamingRevoYT, the mini-map will be reverted to how it’s always been in the core modes of Call of Duty multiplayer, in that enemy fire is always shown in the form of red dots unless the player shooting is using a suppressor attachment. The exact date for when this change may be implemented is not yet known, although the leaker claims it’ll happen “by the end of November.” In fact, according to the leaker, this mini-map change would actually comes as part of a “big overhaul” that’s set to take place in Modern Warfare, although he stopped short of revealing when that would be and what other changes it would entail. While we may not know what will make up this overhaul, it’s not too hard to come up with a list of possibilities by taking into account what players have been complaining most about and using the process of elimination. For example, one of the biggest targets of complaints have been the maps, and it would be virtually impossible to overhaul those after they’ve already been released, at least to the point where they’d become acceptable to players. However, something like weapon balancing would be a very realistic option, especially since there’s a small group of weapons that are considerably more overpowered than the rest, such as the M4A1 assault rifle and 725 shotgun. The developers can also make tweaks to the attachments for some of the weapons, such as increasing or decreasing their viability while changing up some of the functions. In short, there are a lot of ways that Infinity Ward can “overhaul” Modern Warfare, and the best way to know what those changes will be is to wait until they’re officially announced and implemented. On that note, it’s also important to remember that all of this information comes courtesy of leaks put out online, so nothing can be confirmed or verified until Activision and Infinity Ward themselves start making announcements. That said, this leaker in particular has been right about a lot of what he’s put out there, some of which as come well in advance of the game’s release, so there is at least some reason to be hopeful if you are someone who is not enjoying the current state of the game.

Leaked Warzone menus reveal what new features are coming next Infinity WardNewly leaked menu screen images for Call of Duty’s new Warzone battle royale may have revealed that squads and duo modes are coming in the future, along with custom game options and features. Infinity Ward introduced a brand new solos playlist in Warzone’s March 17 update, the first post-launch content added to the battle royale. This means players can currently drop in solo or with teams of three, but a new leak could point to playlists for duos and squads of four coming soon, as well. The leak was posted to Twitter by ModernWarzone, who credited a user on Discord by the name of Shenlord for originally bringing the images to their attention. Both images show a menu for setting up a custom Warzone game, with the option to choose duos or squads – two game modes that were always assumed to be added eventually, but never seen in-game until now. Being able to run your own private matches and even change the rules in them is something a lot of players have been asking for with Warzone, and it seems like that feature will finally be making its way to the game. Duos, and squads are definitely coming in the future, as well as the ability to change rules and run private matches of #Warzone! All of this was assumed from the code but it’s nice to an in game menu. Thanks to discord user Shenlord for the pictures! #CallofDuty #CoDWarzone pic.twitter.com/Kcfzbg98iY — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) March 20, 2020 Other battle royales like Fortnite offer duos and squads, so it only makes sense that Infinity Ward would also add them to Warzone. As to when we could see these new features added: if there are screenshots of them floating around, that means they probably aren’t too far off. We saw the first Warzone update on Tuesday, March 17, so it might be worth keeping an eye on next Tuesday, March 24 as the date for when we could see the next patch. Like Apex Legends, Warzone initially debuted only offering trios matches; but for a game getting as much hype and attention from fans, it only makes sense for devs to add more modes as quickly as possible. Having modes available from solos up to squads should give most players the option the play the battle royale the way they prefer, and potentially help Warzone stick around for the long haul.

Leaked Warzone item could let you zoom in without a sniper – Dexerto
Leaked Warzone item could let you zoom in without a sniper ActivisionA new leaked Warzone item could be hugely beneficial to players who love long-range gunfights, as they would let you see over long distances without the need for a sniper. Currently, in Warzone, to be able to see over a long distance you will need to carry a sniper rifle, giving you the ability to scout out areas before you run into them or pick off enemies from a far distance. The main issue with sniping in Warzone, however, is the glint. When using a sniper, as soon as you scope in, the end of your barrel emits a little glint of light that is visible to anybody that looks in your direction. New scope item in Warzone? Obviously, this can be an issue if you’re trying to play stealthily, alerting enemy players to your position and giving them time to prepare for a gunfight. According to a new leak from Geeky Pastimes, though, that might not be the case forever. In a series of tweets, in which he details some of the interesting bits he has found in the game’s files and data, a spotter scope or binoculars might be coming to Warzone. Among other things, he says that you can use these items “to see a long way with no glint,” which will be particularly helpful for those looking to travel a long distance but want to know what they’re getting themselves into. https://twitter.com/geekypastimes/status/1271514299463278593 He also says that there’s a hyena and a white dog execution coming to the game (the latter has already arrived in the form of the ‘Sasquatch’ finishing move), as well as the recon drone’s ability to hack things. In a later tweet, Geeky Pastimes clarified that it could be possible instead that the recon drone itself is hackable, but this won’t be clear if and when it finally arrives in the game. https://twitter.com/geekypastimes/status/1273199777052798985?s=20 The spotter scope or binoculars, though, are the main points of interest here, and could be a complete game-changer if they actually arrive in Warzone, especially if you want the advantages of carrying a sniper but prefer to carry two different weapons. In fact, this is something certain Warzone players have been asking for for some time. This came at the same time that Geeky Pastime also shared some other huge leaks, including the possibility of an in-game event occurring and, perhaps, Stadium finally opening up for players. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens throughout Season 4, but if all of this occurs, then Warzone players are in for a treat.

Leaked Warzone battle royale animations for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Dexerto
Leaked Warzone battle royale animations for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Infinity WardCall of Duty YouTuber IceManIsaac has uncovered a set of animations and executions which are believed to be intended for the rumored battle royale mode, Warzone, coming to Modern Warfare. When Season Two of Modern Warfare launched on February 11, a mysterious new ‘classified’ mode was placed in the main menu, with a teaser trailer all but confirming a battle royale was coming. Since then, there’s been no official word from Infinity Ward, leaving players guessing about what’s coming, and searching for any leaks and speculation about the mode and its potential release date. Thanks to IceManIsaac, we have a first look at what will probably be used in the battle royale for downed players, when they are in a state to be revived by teammates. Like other battle royales, when knocked down, the character is incredibly vulnerable, with limited movement and no way to defend themselves – other than punching with their fists. The animations found also include specific executions to be performed on opponents in this knocked state, which are also almost certainly for the battle royale mode. Each operator has their own individual executions, with more presumably to come through the battle pass and packs in the store. Some of the execution animations are truly brutal, with neck-breaks, knives, and even an axe. Perhaps the most brutal are those carried out without any weapons at all, as operators such as Minotaur and Rodion demonstrate. When is Warzone battle royale coming out? As for when we’ll get to see these nasty animations actually in-game properly, the rumored release dates are either March 3 or March 10. A so far reliable leaker has stated that the likely release date is the later March 10. There was speculation that it would be officially revealed at PAX East, but so far there has been no word from the event. Even without an official announcement, we have a wealth of information about the battle royale mode already, some of it confirmed, some of it leaked, and some purely speculative. Check out everything we know about Warzone here.

Leaked Warzone audio files reveal Verdansk “Plague” event will end Season 2 – Dexerto
Leaked Warzone audio files reveal Verdansk “Plague” event will end Season 2 ActivisionIt appears the theories are true as new Warzone leaks have all but confirmed Season 2 will come to an explosive end with a new ‘Plague’ event asking players to “save Verdansk.” With Season 2 now well underway, all signs are pointing towards this being our final season in Verdansk. Zombies have now arrived on the map, nuclear silos are opening up, and a leading theory seems to be coming to fruition. As Zombies rapidly take over the battle royale location, a nuclear event could be the only way to stop them. A number of earlier leaks have aligned with this popular narrative and now, it’s all but certain thanks to newly discovered audio files. A brand new event called ‘Plague’ could be how Season 2 winds down, according to intel from ‘ZestyCoDLeaks.’: it may see everyone teaming up to defend Verdansk from the hordes of undead, if these leaks hold true. “Verdansk is overrun, take it back” Warzone’s announcer says in one of the leaked voice lines. As players drop into the map they’ve called home for the past year, it’ll be a final stand against the undead threat. You and your team will have to clear out ‘Plague Zones’ across Verdansk before exfiltrating. Fall short and consequences are more dire than ever before. “Verdansk is lost. End it,” the announcer says upon a failed attempt in the mode. This then leads to a nuclear explosion as the only remaining option to eradicate the Zombies. “Extraction canceled, nuke inbound for Verdansk.” A successful run sees your team rushing to an exfil site no different to current Zombies modes. Though it appears it will all be for naught in the end, as Season 3 is reportedly set to introduce the next map in Warzone regardless. Obviously, it’s worth taking this information with a grain of salt for the time being. Season 2 has only just kicked off and while the leaks are certainly piling up, plans could always change. Read More: 7 best Call of Duty Warzone players to watch – As we approach the next season, be on the lookout for any new developments across Verdansk. If the ‘Plague’ event is indeed around the corner, it’s likely Zombies will be breaking out any day soon.

Leaked Warzone 2 gulag is a huge Verdansk throwback – Dexerto
Leaked Warzone 2 gulag is a huge Verdansk throwback Activision BlizzardThe Gulag for Warzone 2’s Vondel has been leaked in full, and fans have quickly noticed that it’s a throwback to the battle royale’s heyday on Verdansk. With the Warzone 2 Season 4 update, the developers of the Call of Duty battle royale decided to make some pretty big changes to things. The biggest of which was a new map in the form of Vondel. The new map – which is smaller than Al-Mazrah but larger than Ahsika Island – is based on Amsterdam in the Netherlands and has already proven to be popular with fans. Vondel has only launched with Resurgence playlists, however, it is expected to play in both the normal battle royale mode and DMZ. As such, it was also teased to have a Gulag system, and the small snippet photo that the devs showed had some Verdansk vibes about it. Well, it’s now been leaked in full and it’s good news for fans hoping for just that. Vondel Warzone Gulag leaked and it looks like Verdansk’s A clip of the supposed new Gulag surfaced online after some players managed to access it early and take a tour of things. Immediately, the similarities between the new layout and the original Showers Gulag are glaring, even if the theming of the two is pretty different. The middle point, where the flag for overtime spawns, is a spot-on copy. Of course, there are different walls and angles to pre-aim into, but fans are pretty pleased by what they’ve seen already. “It does look good, kinda like the gulag showers in Warzone 1,” said one. “It looks a lot like the Showers gulag. Looks very cool!” another commented. “OMG, they’re bringing back showers. Praise be!” another said. The Gulag won’t launch until Season 4 Reloaded, which is expected to come in early July.

Leaked PlayStation intel reveals shocking number of Call of Duty players only play CoD – Dexerto
Leaked PlayStation intel reveals shocking number of Call of Duty players only play CoD ActivisionDespite attempting to redact confidential information amid the ongoing FTC vs Microsoft court hearing, a PlayStation document has nonetheless revealed some staggering Call of Duty intel. Namely, that roughly a million CoD players play CoD and nothing else. There’s no denying Activision’s hit FPS franchise is an absolute juggernaut and has been now for many years. Approaching the 20th installment in the series later this year, CoD is the industry leader in the FPS space, generating billions in revenue each and every year. However, the sheer extent of its dominance has now been illuminated thanks to some leaked intel. As Microsoft’s attempted acquisition of Activision Blizzard continues advancing through the courts, we’ve learned a great deal about not only Xbox, but also its main rival in PlayStation. Now, through further documents provided in the latest hearing, Sony has inadvertently revealed a new staggering insight on the CoD franchise. Despite using a black marker to redact key details, secrets have nonetheless spilled out. In total, the CoD series attracts a jaw-dropping 70 million daily active users, according to Activision CEO Bobby Kotick. Furthermore, 100 million unique players are engaging with the FPS series each month, he claimed. Of those players, a reported six million of them spent more than 70% of their total gaming time with CoD, at least on PlayStation. Though topping the engagement charts, a whopping one million PlayStation users supposedly spent 100% of their gaming time with CoD in 2021. From that data alone, we can see the impact of the series. Roughly a million gamers spend every moment of their gaming time with CoD and nothing else. Hammering the point home, the average player recorded 116 hours per year with the franchise. Though the most dedicated of the bunch, those exclusively grinding CoD, supposedly spent an average of 296 hours with the FPS series in 2021 alone. Obviously, it’s worth bearing in mind these figures pertain to 2021. With Vanguard covering much of the 2022 cycle and now Modern Warfare 2 in 2023, there’s every chance this data has changed somewhat. To that point, Warzone was also at the peak of its popularity in 2021. Today’s engagement may tell a different story.

Leaked Modern Warfare gameplay appears to confirm no mini-map – Dexerto
Leaked Modern Warfare gameplay appears to confirm no mini-map Infinity WardInfinity Ward are gearing up for their big curtain-raiser at the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer reveal event on August 1, but leaked footage from the event – which was quickly deleted – has given an early look at some in-game action. Countless YouTubers, streamers, journalists and influencers will be in attendance at the event, which will broadcast to the public on Thursday, August 1, showcasing Modern Warfare multiplayer for the first time. Despite organizers’ best attempts to keep the event on lockdown, some footage, perhaps unsurprisingly, found its way online ahead of time. What did the leaked Modern Warfare footage show? The video was short and not great quality, showing players sitting at monitors trying out the game, but was good enough quality to make out plenty of distinct features. One section revealed a first look at respawning, which was not present in the 2v2 Gunfight mode (as there was only one life per round). The camera appeared to swoop down as the player came back into the fight, and there have been indications that they were able to select their spawn point, at least in certain modes No mini-map confirmed? Following claims from YouTuber Drift0r, the community is now convinced there’s no mini-map in Modern Warfare multiplayer, a first for the series, and the footage backed up this theory, with no mini-map in sight. Instead, a compass running across the top of players’ HUDs was visible, giving more information about enemy locations. It’s still not been officially confirmed by Infinity Ward, and there is still a chance that certain game modes or playlists will have a mini-map. Yet, for now, all signs point to the feature being removed entirely. There are major concerns for how the lack of a mini-map could affect competitive play in particular, but we will not know for sure likely until professional players get their first hands-on experience.

Leaked gameplay of unreleased LMG coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone – Dexerto
Leaked gameplay of unreleased LMG coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone Activision[jwplayer SmN5cmUl] Gameplay of a new LMG, which was originally shown off in the Modern Warfare Season 5 roadmap and is due to be added to the game at some point in the middle of the season, has leaked online. Midseason update weapons are nothing new for Modern Warfare. Pretty much ever since the game launched, every season has had a weapon that was teased at the start of the season and then added around halfway through. Season 5 has officially launched and in the roadmap, fans got a glimpse at the new weapon coming down the line. That being said, the weapon was extremely obscured, with some players unsure if it was an LMG at all. Now, footage of that LMG has officially leaked, thanks to reliable Modern Warfare leaker BKTOOR. Although the weapon is completely untextured, it’s completely functional, clearly late in development. Looking at the footage, the weapon seems to be just another belt-fed LMG, with no discernable features that make it stand out. Visually, it looks similar to the Bruen MK9, with a shorter barrel and different iron sights. Right now, it’s anyone’s guess how well the LMG will perform in multiplayer. That being said, even if we had statistics on the weapon right now, it wouldn’t really be worth a lot, as Infinity Ward could and probably would tweak them before the LMG releases in-game. اول نظرة على الخلاط الجديد The First gameplay in game of new LMG https://t.co/C7rTjnmizf pic.twitter.com/PkL4AxUgCs— ᴮᴷᵀᴼᴼᴿ (@BKTOOR_) August 5, 2020 There’s no confirmed date as to when the LMG will release. Typically, the weapons get added in the midseason update, but we don’t know when that will be. If everything goes as planned, however, the end of August is possible. Still, the footage does a good job of showing off how the weapon will handle when it’s eventually added to the game. Here’s hoping it there’s some unique feature that separates it from the rest of the pack.

Leaked gameplay of MW2 shotgun coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare – Dexerto
Leaked gameplay of MW2 shotgun coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare Infinity Ward[jwplayer zMXgrtOu] Gameplay footage of the AA-12 shotgun in Modern Warfare has leaked online, offering players a first look at the vintage shotgun that could be coming in Season 6, courtesy of prominent leaker BKTOOR. Modern Warfare 2 was well-known for its selection of shotguns. Between the Model 1887’s insane pre-patch range and the Spas-12’s legendary one-hit-kill potential, the shotguns in the game are some of the most iconic within the franchise’s history. One such weapon was the AA-12. While the damage wasn’t anything to write home about, it was the only fully-automatic shotgun in the game, meaning you could just hold down the trigger and destroy someone in a mere matter of seconds. Now, it appears that the AA-12 is set to make a triumphant return to the series, as known CoD leaker BKTOOR has released footage of an unfinished build of it within Modern Warfare. أول قيمبلاي لسلاح الشتقن AA12 Here the First gameplay of sh_aalpha12 #ModernWarfare https://t.co/jMkehmyg7D— ᴮᴷᵀᴼᴼᴿ (@BKTOOR_) September 2, 2020 The footage itself is relatively short and simple. Like most unfinished guns in Modern Warfare that get leaked early, there’s a lot of details missing from it. For starters, it doesn’t appear to have a reload sound attached to it currently. In addition, the weapon doesn’t properly fit into the players hand and seems to be clipping through it in the footage provided, meaning this could be a very early version of the weapon. Regardless, players are able to see how it handles when it fires and, unlike the original MW2 version, it seems to have an insane amount of recoil. Of course, this could all change when the weapon is actually released, but right now, it seems to kick like a mule. The sudden appearance of this leaked gameplay does raise some questions as to when Infinity Ward plan on releasing AA-12 in Modern Warfare and Warzone. There’s only one season of MW left, Season 6, and it will most likely feature two new weapons released at the start, but the fact that this shotgun still looks so early in its development makes it hard to imagine it’ll roll out so soon. That said, this footage could be outdated and old, which could mean that the devs have already finished developing the gun and it’s ready to go out. As for what it could be paired with at the start of S6, BKTOOR previously also leaked gameplay of the R700 sniper rifle from CoD4, the original Modern Warfare. As things stand, those two weapons could be what IW drop at the start of next season.

Leaked Call of Duty franchise league deck reveals minimum salaries, team sizes, expansion plans – Dexerto
Leaked Call of Duty franchise league deck reveals minimum salaries, team sizes, expansion plans Credit – Twitter.com/MixAmpPapiDexerto has obtained part of the deck sources claim is being distributed to current and potential investors in Activison Blizzard’s upcoming Call of Duty Franchise League. Although the CDL is due to start in 2020, a comprehensive overlook of the league has yet to be revealed publicly. Instead there has been a slow drip-feed of information through leaks, rumors and the occasional press statement from the developer. The pages of the deck that were provided to Dexerto were focused on the operational aspects of the teams that will take part, as well as containing some details about Blizzard’s plans to expand and monetize the league beyond 2020. According to the deck, teams that take part in the league will agree to have an appointed general manager as well as 7-10 players on the books. Players will be signed to a “standard contract” and must be provided a minimum salary that currently is agreed upon as being $50,000. Although there is no stipulated salary limit for players, the league will operate a “competitive balance tax” in the same way the Overwatch League does. This will mean that if a team goes beyond a certain threshold of spending, the amount they go over by is then divided up by the rest of the teams within the threshold and distributed to them. The maximum player payroll before competitive balance tax looks set to be $1.575 million in year 1. Salaries are to be paid by the team directly to the player. Prize money distribution will be at the behest of teams in the league, but Activision Blizzard look set to state that a minimum of 50% of prize money must go to the team’s players, although they add that this can be divided at the team’s discretion. The document also stipulates that teams will be “responsible for costs and expenses of fulfilling their responsibilities and exploiting their rights.” In regards to the value of franchise slots, the developer states that they expect a slot to be worth over $45 million in ten years, suggesting this model is something they will continue to support and develop for a long time. They also have said that they expect media rights to be worth approximately $20 million in year 1, although it isn’t clear how this will be earned. The league is proposed to run from January to July and then the new Call of Duty releases will be scheduled for Fall on the calendar. In their recent Q2 earnings call Activision Blizzard stated that while they will be supporting Call of Duty releases as “live services” and looking to build communities around those games, annual releases are still likely to remain part of their business model. In total, the league hopes to expand to 28 city-based teams. Also included in the deck there were some references to Overwatch League and how successful a project it had been financially. The included information said the league was projected to make $25 million in revenue in season 1 but actually generated $82 million. Over half of that figure was from Twitch paying $45 million per year in a two year deal for exclusive online broadcasting rights. While we confirmed the veracity of this document with another source who is close to the league they added: “currently these details are subject to change between now and the official announcement.” Activision responded to our request for comment: “As a matter of policy, we don’t typically comment on rumors and speculation. What we will say however is that there are factual inaccuracies in this reporting. Further information on the future of Call of Duty esports is forthcoming and we look forward to sharing it with the community soon. In the meantime, we’re watching and celebrating the 2019 Call of Duty World League Championship taking place this weekend.” At the time of publishing, the CWL Championship Grand Final is currently taking place. We will continue to provide updates on the future of the Call of Duty franchise league as and when they become available.

Leaked CoD Mobile game mode brings Among Us to Call of Duty – Dexerto
Leaked CoD Mobile game mode brings Among Us to Call of Duty Innersloth / ActivisionNew Call of Duty: Mobile footage from the Chinese version of the game has revealed an Among Us-style mode coming soon to the Call of Duty franchise. [jwplayer NIUggxSx] Among Us took the gaming industry by storm in 2020 and now, Call of Duty is looking to replicate that success with a nearly identical game mode coming to CoD Mobile. Early footage from the Chinese version of the popular handheld title has showcased the new ‘Werewolf’ playlist in action. 12 players load into the match at the very centre of Meltdown. After a brief countdown, everyone is free to spread out and gather resources. From weapons to materials, these resources come in handy for a number of reasons. Not only will they help you take down other targets, but you’ll also need them to complete tasks. Before long, players converge at the spawn point to discuss the round. In exactly the same way as Among Us, players have a brief window to argue their case. Whether you’re trying to prove your innocence or get another player in a sticky situation, you’ll have just a few seconds to talk inbetween rounds in this new CoD Mobile mode. At the end of the discussion, all players are given the opportunity to vote. If enough votes are cast towards a single person, they’ll be removed from the lobby. Otherwise, rounds will continue until a clear winner is determined. Throughout the action-phase of each round, players can explore the entire map. Scattered throughout are weapons, items, and materials. You’ll need these materials to complete CoD Mobile’s version of Among Us-style minigames. These are extremely simple tasks that appear on the minimap. Simply walking to the right location and interacting with an objective will clear each task. Weapons range from pistols with just five rounds to powerful shotguns with just one shell. Melee weapons are also in the mix, though you’ll need to get up close, potentially revealing yourself in the process. For the time being, this Among Us clone is limited to the Chinese version of CoD Mobile. However, the global release typically gets the same content a few months later. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information comes to light.

Full Call of Duty League 2024 schedule leaked – Dexerto
Full Call of Duty League 2024 schedule leaked Call of Duty LeagueDexerto sources have disclosed the full schedule for the Call of Duty League 2024 season, with matches due to start in December and four Majors across the season. With no set structure to each CDL season, the format and schedule is always something that fans have to wait and see what is expected to come. Generally, fans can expect a series of online qualifier matches followed by a LAN Major, but when the season starts, finishes, and where the events take place, is always a question mark. Ahead of the league’s planned announcement on November 2, we can now reveal the full schedule for the season, though it’s worth noting that this could still be subject to change ahead of the announcement. Call of Duty League 2024 schedule Here is what leaked internal documents have revealed about the upcoming CDL season schedule: Major 1 (Boston Major) Qualifiers: December 8 – January 21 (includes three-week break for holidays) – LAN: January 25-28 – – Major 2 Qualifiers: February 16 – March 17 – LAN: March 21-24 – – Major 3 Qualifiers: April 12 – May 12 – LAN: May 16-19 – – Major 4 Qualifiers: May 24 – June 16 – LAN: June 20-23 – – Call of Duty Championship: July 11-14 – Call of Duty League 2024 season format While the dates on the calendar suggest three-day Major tournaments, previous years have had four-day Majors, and this is expected to continue this season. There are due to be some changes this year, though, sources have told Dexerto. Teams are expected to play seven qualifier matches in 2024 instead of five, allowing for a more clear scope of ability, fairer standings, and a better warm-up before the LAN Major. Not only that but LAN points should be increased, meaning that performing on LAN is a lot more important than online, a major complaint from last season. Also at LAN events, the Winner’s Final is expected to be the second scheduled match on Sundays instead of first, meaning less downtime for the team who qualifies for the Grand Final through the Winner’s Bracket. As mentioned, things are still subject to change, but with the Modern Warfare 3 launch date and planned start date for the league fast approaching, there can’t be many major changes to be made between now and then.

Leaked Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Map List Includes – Dexerto
Leaked Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Map List Includes It looks like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 could feature remakes of some of the most popular maps in the history of the franchise, including Raid and Firing Range. Black Ops 4 is still four months away from being released but the excitement and anticipation surrounding it is already reaching fever pitch. Add numerous leaks into the equation and hardcore Call of Duty fans certainly have a lot to talk about as they wait for October 12th to finally arrive. One leak that has everyone talking seems to show a total of 17 potential multiplayer maps, including remakes of some Black Ops favorites likes Raid, Standoff, Firing Range, and Nuketown. Read More: Japanese Professional Call of Duty Team, Rush Gaming, Looks to Prove They Can Compete with Top Teams in eUnited Scrim – The leak comes from a TwoEpicBuddies YouTube video. Best known for their Fortnite Battle Royale related data mining, TwoEpicBuddies tend to be on the money with their information so there is certainly an air of legitimacy to the list. It would be huge news if the list of 17 maps means that the game will come with 17 playable multiplayer maps on release, but early DLC maps have been seen in the release. However, files of previous Call of Duty titles so don’t get your hopes up too much. While Nuketown might be the most known and loved map from the Black Ops series for casual fans, the prospect of Raid, Firing Range, and Standoff remakes will leave competitive fans and players drooling. Neither Treyarch or Activision have commented on the speculation but some community members have suggested that more information could be revealed at CWL Anaheim from June 15th – 17th after it was revealed that the multiplayer would be playable at the $200,000 event. The TwoEpicBuddies video can be found below.

Leaked Black Ops Gulf War perk could completely change Warzone meta – Dexerto
Leaked Black Ops Gulf War perk could completely change Warzone meta ActivisionThe leaks have started to pour out regarding the 2024 entry into the Call of Duty franchise. Expected to be named Black Ops Gulf War, according to prior reports, one particular perk could be set to have huge implications for Warzone if it goes into the game and completely shift the meta — and it might not be a good thing. With each new Call of Duty game, Warzone battle royale undergoes some serious changes that keep the game fresh while still attempting to deliver the experience players loved from Day 1 in Verdansk, which is also expected to return this year according to leaks. While Warzone has changed drastically since then, not every change has been welcomed with open arms, such as the removal of slide canceling and an altered perk system when Warzone 2 launched alongside MW2 in 2022. On April 14, a number of multiplayer leaks for Black Ops Gulf War started pouring out, pertaining to perks, streaks, weapons in the game and more, and one perk in particular will not only concern multiplayer fans, but could also alter Warzone significantly: Survivor. The description for Survivor is as follows: “On death, enter Last Stand with the ability to self-revive once per life. Teammates can revive downed players faster.” Of course, Last Stand was abandoned in Call of Duty some time ago, giving players an unfair advantage if they got outgunned by literally allowing them to live through it, providing a teammate could pick them up. This is very interesting when it comes to Warzone, though, because if it’s implemented like-for-like in the battle royale title, it could mean that players get a free Self Revive if they equip the perk, completely changing the state of the game. This would arguably make it a crutch perk and you would be hard pushed to find a player going without it, and could be crucial in those late-game regains when you land straight on your Loadout Drop. No doubt, Survivor would then become a huge point of contention among players, giving players such a huge advantage, so they will absolutely have to consider adapting this to be more fair in Warzone. For example, it could keep the faster revive from teammates but remove the free Self Revive, or adapt the perk completely to try alter it for the battle royale realm. This would then make it more of an even toss up between Survivor and, say, Tempered, or Double Time, for example. Of course, it’s still incredibly early days, so this perk may not even be in Gulf War when the game launches later this year, but if it is, developers Treyarch and Raven Software will need to carefully consider how they implement it in Warzone.

Leaked Black Ops character returning to Warzone fuels CoD 2020 rumors – Dexerto
Leaked Black Ops character returning to Warzone fuels CoD 2020 rumors Treyarch / Infinity WardAs the focus of the next Call of Duty remains shrouded in mystery, a leaked return of iconic Black Ops character Frank Woods could paint the picture of what lies ahead. We have now entered July without an official reveal of Treyarch’s upcoming Call of Duty release. This marks the longest stretch into any year in franchise history without any indication of what’s coming next. Typically, most CoD titles are teased much earlier into the year, with full gameplay blowouts coming around the time of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. Developers at Treyarch have been particularly quiet in 2020. Though a litany of leaks through Infinity Ward’s Warzone, may have uncovered their ambitious plans. Rumors have circulated for months around this year’s title being a “soft reboot” of the popular Black Ops series. This would coincide with Warzone’s ongoing seasonal storyline that will supposedly tie everything together. A brand new set of leaked voice lines have now reaffirmed this theory. Iconic Black Ops character Frank Woods could be dropping in as a future Operator in the hugely popular battle royale. Woods served an integral role in the narrative of the Black Ops series, spanning four entries across decades of interwoven stories. As Treyarch seemingly prepares for a reboot of the series, Woods appears to be making his way to Warzone as a playable Operator. Various lines of code have been dug up from the June 29 update. These lines refer to Woods by name and outline various quotes from the character in certain states of combat. Not only that, but dataminers have also been able to pluck the audio for some of these voice lines as well. A new voice actor seemingly portrays Woods in this iteration as 10 new lines of dialogue have been leaked. All stemming from quotes of the character while executing others in the battle royale. There’s no telling just when Woods may be playable. As more and more historic Call of Duty characters join the fight against Imran Zakhaev in Verdansk, it’s likely that Woods serves as the center-piece of a future season. No different to the likes of Ghost in Season 2, Alex in Season 3, and Captain Price in Season 4. How everything comes together and transitions into the future release remains unknown. However, Infinity Ward has confirmed that support for Warzone will be continuing well into the future. With rumors of Blackout making a return this year, perhaps the two will even merge down the line. Without word from Treyarch, everything remains speculative for the time being. In the meantime, here’s an in-depth look at every scrap of information we have on the 2020 Call of Duty release.

Leaked Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Map List Features Remakes of Numerous Call of Duty Classics – Dexerto
Leaked Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Map List Features Remakes of Numerous Call of Duty Classics It looks like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 could feature remakes of some of the most popular maps in the history of the franchise, including Raid and Firing Range.

Leaked Black Ops 4 gameplay reveals canceled campaign – Dexerto
Leaked Black Ops 4 gameplay reveals canceled campaign TreyarchAlthough Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn’t feature a campaign, new footage has surfaced online revealing what the single-player story mode was going to look like before it apparently got scrapped. There were a lot of things in Black Ops 4 that made it unique from other Call of Duty titles, such as the manual healing in multiplayer, and the first-ever CoD battle royale, but what maybe stood out the most was that the game, for the first time in franchise history, didn’t have a campaign When discussing that decision, developers Treyarch said there weren’t any plans for such a mode, and that they prioritized the online aspects of the game, such as multiplayer and Blackout. However, since then, it’s become evident that a campaign was in the works, at least at one point, before it was dropped due to it being too big of a project to see through. On May 25, over a year-and-a-half after the game’s release, we finally have a look at what that was going to look like, thanks to some new gameplay that was leaked on Reddit. At the beginning of this footage, the player is tasked with “finding the Aquilus CEO,” and they must wade through a crowd of panicking civilians who seem to be in the midst of some sort of disastrous attack. Other objectives that pop up on the screen throughout this gameplay are “secure the restaurant,” “secure the courtyard,” and “neutralize hostiles and secure VIP.” This was clearly taken from an early stage in the campaign’s development, as the graphics are not sharp at certain points, and there are a lot of character models that are incomplete. Those who have played Black Ops 4 multiplayer will instantly recognize the setting to be a map called Seaside. In fact, almost everything on the screen looks very similar to the MP layout, including the health bar, Specialist abilities/equipment, and the weapon information. According to the leaker, this was by design, as Treyarch wanted there to be some sort of crossover between the campaign and MP, and making the experience and feel of the two similar was part of that effort. “I believe the mechanics of the campaign was going to be very similar to the multiplayer, which makes sense honestly,” the Redditer wrote. “Also notice the “Find the Aquilus CEO” notification at the top when the video starts? I think they really had a huge storyline here.” The leaker also mentioned that they’re in possession of additional gameplay from this mission, as well as footage “showcasing augmented impact effects within the BO4 engine,” although they’re not going to be posting those just yet. Sadly, we will never see what the final outcome of this story mode would have looked like, and the game still remains as the only CoD title ever to not feature a campaign.

Leaked Black Ops 4 gameplay footage shows TWO new powerful weapons coming soon – Dexerto
Leaked Black Ops 4 gameplay footage shows TWO new powerful weapons coming soon Two brand new weapons will be making their way into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 soon, according to newly uncovered leaks. The two new weapons are the Ruger Mini-14 semi-automatic sniper rifle and the DemoHammer melee, which appears to be some sort of a combination of a shotgun and a giant hammer. Information about both of these weapons was discovered in game files and leaked out on February 21 by Reddit user ‘Joshwoocool’, including short video clips showcasing both of the weapons in action. While some are speculating that the sniper rifle shown in the leaks is just a cosmetic variant of the SDM that’s already in the game, the leaked file itself is titled ‘core_frontend_sniper_mini14,’ pretty much confirming the weapon as brand new. As for the DemoHammer, although it’s shown to include a chamber for shotgun shells, the name of its file (core_frontend_melee_demohammer) confirms that the weapon will be of the melee category. Of course, being that all of what’s been provided about these two new weapons have been from leaks, it’s best to treat the information as speculation until they’re officially confirmed by Treyarch and Activision. However, judging by the content that’s been leaked, it’s pretty safe to assume that these weapons will be added to Black Ops 4 at some point. The video themselves are professionally produced and appear very similar to the clips shown in the past for new weapon announcements. There are still questions that remain about these two new weapons, such as when will they be released and how will players be able to acquire them. Make sure to monitor @DexertoINTEL and our Dexerto Call of Duty page as we will post any new information about the new weapons as it becomes available.

Leaked Avalon Warzone map is actually hiding in Black Ops 6 – Dexerto
Leaked Avalon Warzone map is actually hiding in Black Ops 6 ActivisionOver the months leading up to the launch of Black Ops 6, many leaks have hinted towards the release of a Warzone map called Avalon — and it might actually already be hiding in Black Ops 6. For the past year, Warzone players have been playing Urzikstan as the sole big map offering, while Resurgence has had maps like Vondel, Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep and more. However, it has been confirmed that Verdansk will be returning in Spring 2025 — and reports suggest that Avalon, another big map, will come with the 2025 COD release after Black Ops 6. Said reports and leaks also include a potential map of the map, giving players a look at how it could appear. When Avalon first started to leak, it was believed that it would be the big map in BO6’s Warzone integration, though the return of Verdansk puts that idea to bed, unless Raven Software want two new big maps to come with the Treyarch-developed title. As shown in this video from TheTacticalBrit, though, it looks like Avalon is actually in Black Ops 6 — just not exactly as a playable Warzone map. If you run around the Training Course that’s currently available in the Black Ops 6 beta, it is actually one of the islands that were shown in the leaks. You can also find the map that was found in Rebirth Island in the Training Course, giving players a fresh look at how Avalon may be laid out. As with all teases and leaks like this, all of this could change drastically before Avalon’s planned release, whether it be changes to the map, its timeline, or whether it even comes to Warzone at all. For now, though, if you want to get a first look at Avalon, it’s worth traversing the Training Course and seeing what kind of potential the map might have.

Leak shows fan favorite Black Ops 2 character coming to Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
Leak shows fan favorite Black Ops 2 character coming to Black Ops 4 ActivisionIt appears that a fan favorite character from Call of Duty: Black Ops II might be on his way to Black Ops 4, after one user’s game glitched and showed him on an in-game loading screen. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is fondly remembered by a vast majority of the CoD community, known for its addicting multiplayer, immersive zombies and non-linear campaign. The campaign was split into two sections, the first being a late Cold War storyline, focusing on Alex Mason, who featured in the original Black Ops. The second storyline was set in 2025, as Alex’s son David, takes on the game’s primary antagonist, Raul Menendez. It is David Mason who is believed to be coming to Black Ops 4. 600One Reddit user noticed the character appear as their loading screen, prior to any announcement from Treyarch as to the character’s return. It is likely he will be a playable skin in Blackout, given the game’s affinity for adding previous Black Ops characters into this mode. Also, given multiplayer’s continuation of Black Ops III’s specialist characters, it seems unlikely he will be introduced into this mode. There are already a number of ‘throwback’ Black Ops skins in Black Ops 4, including Menendez, so it would be no surprise to see another added in. It just appears to have been leaked slightly earlier than Treyarch intended. Despite Black Ops 4’s improved graphics, many Reddit users were unimpressed with the design of the Black Ops II protagonist. One said that the “rendering looks like a divorced dad that tries to get drunk with 20 somethings”, while another went for: “Ugly motherfucker they ruined him.” Regardless of what fans think of his character model, it’s fair to say that we can expect to see David Mason in Black Ops 4 fairly soon.

Leak reveals everything coming in CoD Mobile Season 11 – Dexerto
Leak reveals everything coming in CoD Mobile Season 11 ActivisionWith Call of Duty Mobile Season 11 on the horizon, a leak has revealed the patch notes for the major update and we know pretty much everything that is coming during the new season. [jwplayer L7zZP3SQ] As CoD Mobile Season 10 is quickly approaching its endpoint, players are looking forward to what Season 11 has in store for them. In September, the devs confirmed that there wouldn’t be a test server so that they could keep things under wraps, but they did ultimately reveal the new map and scorestreak for the season. However, with Season 11 only a few days away, Garena – who publish the game in Southeast Asia – have let a few things slip on their official Facebook page. New weapons and perk As noted, the new scorestreak, the Advanced UAV, and the newest map – King from CoD: Modern Warfare – had been revealed thanks to the roadmap that appeared in-game on October 10. In addition to those two, the Cranked multiplayer game mode was also revealed. However, weapons and a new perk were teased without giving too much away. Now though, this leak has revealed that the NA-45 from Advanced Warfare, will be the first weapon in CoD Mobile to deal explosive damage with a second shot. There also looks to be an additional unnamed weapon coming too. There is also the brand new perk, Tactician. The perk will allow players to use an additional piece of tactical equipment. New weapon options – Akimbo & Ammo As well as those big additions, Season 11 will also introduce new perk options for certain weapons. This includes being able to use Akimbo with the Fennec, 5.45 ammo for the AK47, and Large Caliber Ammo for the HVK-30. The new ammo will help these weapons do increased damage, especially with headshots. Battle Royale changes Battle Royale players aren’t going to be left out. Though rumors have suggested that the Alcatraz map will be available, that’s not mentioned in Garena’s post. Instead, there is a new weapon in the form of the Purifier, a new gun mod called Sleuth, and a new ammo type called Ballistic Expert. Sleuth will help do more damage and show an enemy on the minimap, while Ballistic Expert is ammo for special weapons like the Purifier and Tempest. Of course, there will be plenty of new cosmetics to use too – both in the way of new soldiers, and weapon skins. There are also plenty of improvements coming to both multiplayer and battle royale modes in the form of bug fixes, weapon balancing, as well as some quality of life changes. The multiplayer changes can be found below, translated from the Garena Facebook page. However, the translations on some of these, as well as the other changes for battle royale and beyond, are slightly broken so we’ll have to wait for the official notes for complete confirmation. CoD Mobile Season 11 early patch notes Multiplayer changes Increased QQ9 damage when equipped with 10mm 30-round reload – AK47: Reduced recoil and precision control. – FHJ-18 launcher gun can fire without waiting to lock on to a target – Reduce the explosive radius of the FHJ-18 projectile. – Increased the explosive radius of the SMRS projectile, – Slightly reduce the speed of movement and attack of Shadow Blade skills – Reduced enemy target locking, cooldown sensitivity, – Annihilator skill persistence time slightly, slightly increases projectile speed, bullet sensitivity, and War Machine agility. – The flash from Transform Shield is replaced by a Continuous microwave emissions in front of the shield. Leak claims classic Call of Duty maps coming in Modern Warfare DLC – Dexerto
Leak claims classic Call of Duty maps coming in Modern Warfare DLC New leaks for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare suggests players will be getting a heavy dose of nostalgia with upcoming DLC that will bring back popular maps from the franchise’s past. Infinity Ward has so far struck gold with their highly anticipated reimagining for the legendary Modern Warfare series. The game surpassed $600 million in sales during its launch weekend alone, and it’s nowhere near done climbing. While the studio has breathed new life into the MW name with its surreal campaign and slower approach to multiplayer, it seems like it’s going to take players to the franchise’s roots by bringing fans to iconic locales In a new leak via YouTuber ‘TheGamingRevolution,’ it seems like maps such as Crash, Vacant, Rust, Scrapyard and a lot more will soon be coming to the latest iteration of CoD. If the information turns out to be true, fan-favorite maps from Modern Warfare 2 will be making a huge comeback as players have been clamoring for the revival of the iconic 1v1 arena Rust, the claustrophobic setting of Vacant, the chaotic battlefield of Scrapyard, and nostalgic scenes of Terminal. Modern Warfare 10+ DLC Maps Leaked Images! Farms, Rust, Shipment, New Gunfight Maps & More (Call of Duty Modern Warfare DLC 1) – https://t.co/57Lqo7YFMC via @YouTube — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) October 30, 2019 Longtime fans will soon be able to relive some of the most memorable settings that garnered Infinity Ward high praise for its map design. Players of the new game have been loving IW’s new shooter so far, but a major point of contention has been with the multiplayer map experience. While a lot of the maps complement the new release’s slower, methodical approach to combat, the community has been asking for the studio to give back some of what made the franchise so successful. It seems like Infinity Ward will address those concerns by reintroducing tried-and-true maps from the series’ history with an expected launch for the first DLC pack as December 10, although it remains unconfirmed. The potential of these maps in the new game is bound to get hundreds of Modern Warfare players hyped but leaks like this should always be taken with a grain of salt. Although, it goes without saying that the news will be an instant crowd-pleaser as Infinity Ward and Activision prepares for a crucial holiday season for Modern Warfare. Leaked Modern Warfare DLC maps: Wet Work (6v6) – Terminal (6v6) – Crash (6v6) – Vacant (6v6) – Broadcast (6v6) – Scrapyard (6v6) – Rust (6v6 and Gunfight) – Farah – Boneyard – Caged – Hook – + 4 Ground War Maps – + Gunfight 3 maps –

Leak claims Modern Warfare could have Fortnite-like creator codes – Dexerto
Leak claims Modern Warfare could have Fortnite-like creator codes ActivisionA new leak has suggested that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare could be getting creator codes very similar to those in Fortnite – giving content creators a chance to earn a little bit of cash when fans use their codes in the COD Store. Through the COD Store, players can buy all manner of weapon skins, operator outfits or add-ons to enhance their Modern Warfare experience, and now it looks like Activision wants to follow in Epic Games’ footsteps and help give back a little more to the most popular players. Creator codes were introduced into Fortnite and help streamers and YouTubers make a little bit of extra income – in fact, Tfue even said at one point this his main source of income was from his creator code. Taking a leaf out of Epic Games’ very successful book, it looks like codes will be coming to Modern Warfare if reputable leaker TheGamingRevolution is to be believed, having found a reference to them in the latest update. According to TGR, the reference says: “Support your favorite Call of Duty creator with your in-game purchases. Creators will receive a portion of each purchase made using their code. This code will expire after 14 days. Enter the creator code below.” This is almost identical to how Epic Games run Support-A-Creator codes in Fortnite, even down to the 14-day lifespan. https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevo2/status/1243510992199442432?s=20 Of course, as this is only a leak, we can not completely confirm that creator codes are coming until Infinity Ward or Activision themselves say so, but it’s a step in the right direction if so. It’s not clear how they would supply creator codes if done – of course, you would imagine some of the biggest content creators and pro players would likely get their own code, but there doesn’t seem to be any reference to the process for people to get a code in the leaks. Reddit user Senescallo also found a reference to the creator codes, as well as some huge information regarding the Season 3 update, including classic maps coming back and even artwork for Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. The release date for Modern Warfare Season 3 is April 6, 2020, so all of the above could be coming to the game much sooner rather than later. Whether creator codes are expected to be available as soon as Season 3 drops is not apparent, but there’s no doubt Call of Duty’s biggest names will be getting excited at the prospect.

Leak claims Modern Warfare Co-Op mode will be used “within COD World League” – Dexerto
Leak claims Modern Warfare Co-Op mode will be used “within COD World League” Call of DutyCall of Duty YouTuber ‘TheGamingRevolution’ has posted a series of leaks relating to the upcoming Modern Warfare, which he claims are from a reliable source, and states that the co-op mode is intended for the COD World League. The 2019-20 season of the Call of Duty World League will be the first with the new city-based franchise system, and so there are plenty big changes planned. One change that no one is expecting though, is for the new co-op mode to feature as part of competitive play, but TheGamingRevolution‘s source claims this will be the case. Little is known about the co-op mode thus far, other than the mode’s description sounds similar to the ‘Spec Ops’ mode from MW2, reading: “Squad-up and play cooperatively in a collection of elite operations accessible to all skill levels.” TheGamingRevolution’s source explains that co-op will be like “‘Hey guys, let’s do the mission where we stop the terrorist from blowing up London”, and that “it’s almost like its own multiplayer experience within itself, if you’re not a fan of the 3-lane PvP.” Most surprisingly, the source claims “Activision are looking to build it up as an esports mode and are planning for it to be within the COD World League.” 700From this description, it’s possible that these player vs player versions of the co-op mode could function similar to Rainbow Six Siege-style hostage rescue and bomb defusal modes, although why they wouldn’t simply be part of the ‘multiplayer’ portion of the game is unclear. The leaker gives the example of the London mission from the campaign, which will also translate to co-op: “The good guys will try to stop the opposing team from detonating the explosives.” 700The YouTuber does clarify that these plans could always be subject to change, but “for the most part this [leak] should be dead on.” Read More: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Release date, campaign, multiplayer, cross-platform, rumors – As with all leaks, they should be taken with a pinch of salt, as nothing is certain until Activision or Infinity Ward officially confirm it.

Leak claims four classic CoD maps will be coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto
Leak claims four classic CoD maps will be coming to Modern Warfare Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has tweeted out that at least four classic Call of Duty maps will be coming to Modern Warfare after launch. Call of Duty fans are counting down the days until the release of Modern Warfare, with the game set to launch worldwide on Friday, October 25. With the release date just a few weeks away, leaks are coming out thick and fast, and TGR has already provided what he believes to be the full list of maps that will be available at launch, including maps played in the beta such as Gun Runner, Granza Raid, Cave, and Hackney Yard. On Monday, October 6, TheGamingRevolution was asked by one of his followers whether there will be “small, chaotic 6v6 maps like Nuketown, Strikezone or Shipment”, some of the more popular and frantic maps to have existed within the Call of Duty franchise. TGR gave more information than was expected of him in response, instead revealing that a number of fan-favorite maps are set to return, writing: “Shipment, Rust, Terminal and a new version of Wetwork (set inside the ship by the containers from Crew Expendable) and more classics are coming after launch”. Shipment, rust, terminal and a new version of wetwork (set inside the ship by the containers from Crew Expendable) and more classics are coming after launch https://t.co/fHd72m7KL2 — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) October 6, 2019 The four maps listed are Call of Duty classics and are clear hallmarks of Infinity Ward acknowledging that these are the types of maps fans want to be playing. Shipment and Wetwork were originally in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, whilst Rust and Terminal premiered inn Modern Warfare 2. Most interesting is that TGR includes that more classics than those listed will be coming to Modern Warfare post-launch, meaning we could see a huge number of fan-favorite Call of Duty maps from years past find their way onto the new title. He also later claimed that Hardpoint will not be a playable game mode at launch – despite being one of the core modes of the Call of Duty esports circuit in recent years. Of course, it’s not possible to prove all of these leaks to be true, and it’s very likely that things change throughout the development process both pre- and post-release. But the prospect of being able to play classic Call of Duty on maps such as Rust and Terminal is enough to get any fan excited.

Leak claims Call of Duty 2020 is a “soft reboot” of Black Ops – Dexerto
Leak claims Call of Duty 2020 is a “soft reboot” of Black Ops ActivisionActivision might not have confirmed a name for their Call of Duty 2020 game just yet, but according to potentially leaked information it might be called ‘Classified’ or Black Ops. In recent years, fans have seen a number of different titles that have followed on from previous series’ – such as Modern Warfare from Infinity Ward, and Black Ops for Treyarch, but every once in a while there’s also been others thrown into the mix. Ghosts, for example, which came out back in 2013. Well, if you were one of those people who thought CoD 2020 might be the next project to have a fresh name, a new apparent leak might give some food for thought. While things that haven’t yet been announced in the world of CoD are sometimes labelled as “classified” information, it actually looks like the next game might be left as just that. According to SunnyMatrix, who has posted an unverified leak to Reddit, the next title will be named as such. The post states: “Call of Duty 2020 will either be called, ‘Call of Duty: Classified’ or ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops.’” If this turns out to be accurate, of course that’s not confirmed, it does leave the door open for another “soft reboot” Black Ops game, just like they did this year with MW. This post, as seen above, also mentions a number of other potential details regarding the next Call of Duty title. This includes apparent story information, with references made to the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the United States’ 35th President, as well as a mention of the Cold War, and more. The games usually release in the Holiday season each year, although with it being still fairly early days in 2020, nothing has been confirmed just yet. Therefore, we would urge fans to take this ‘leak’ with a pinch of salt until things are announced.

How League Play works in Black Ops Cold War: Skill divisions, ranks, maps & modes, rewards, more – Dexerto
How League Play works in Black Ops Cold War: Skill divisions, ranks, maps & modes, rewards, more TreyarchAt long last, Treyarch and Activision have finally debuted League Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and we’ve got everything there is to know about how this new ranked mode works. It’s been a long time coming but after months of waiting in anticipation, Call of Duty players can finally enjoy the latest iteration of the ranked mode known as League Play in Black Ops Cold War. League Play is a classic, fan-favorite mode that’s been in most CoD titles since Black Ops 2. In this, players get to face others that are at or around the same skill level for a chance to move up the leaderboards and earn rewards and bragging rights. Matches are played in public playlists but follow the official competitive ruleset, meaning that many of the game’s weapons, attachments, perks, scorestreaks, and equipment are restricted from use. League Play events: schedule & how it works League Play events are essentially periods of time during which you can compete in the ranked mode and then go up or down Ranks once the event is over. There are two LP events each week: the Weekday Events run Monday through Friday, while Weekend Events are Friday through Monday. How well you perform determines how high you climb up the Division Ladder; at the end of each event, where you are in the Ladder determines how much progress you’ve earned towards promoting to the next Rank. Your first LP event will be different from the rest since it will start with five placement matches to determine which Skill Division and Ladder you start off in. League Play Skill Divisions & Ladders There are five Skill Divisions in League Play, and which one you get placed in at the beginning gets determined by your placement matches. The divisions are based on percentages of players, meaning that where you are is partially dependent on how everyone else is doing. Master: Top 2% of players – Elite: Top 3-10% of players – Expert: Top 11-15% of players – Advanced: Top 16-20% of players – Competitor: 50% of players – During each event, winning earns you Ladder Points that move you up your division’s Ladder while losing reduces your points and moves you down. Winning several matches in a row activates a win-streak bonus that can help you climb quickly. However, those who quit LP matches receive “increased” penalties and a match loss. League Play Ranks & Rewards After each LP Event, where you are in the Skill Division Ladder will earn you Gems, which are needed to advance to the next Rank. There are 30 Ranks in total, so there’s definitely lots to strive for in this ranked mode. Reaching each “milestone” Rank (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30) unlocks a unique League Play Calling Card, of which there are six in total. Furthermore, placing at the top of a Ladder or winning an LP Event will upgrade your Rank badge to reflect your success. “Finish in the top 10, top 5, or first to permanently upgrade your Rank from Bronze to Silver, Silver Gold, or Gold. Finish first six times, and you’ll permanently upgrade your Rank to Diamond.” League Play maps, modes, restricted items, & ruleset As mentioned above, this ranked mode follows the official competitive ruleset used by the Call of Duty League in both the professional and Challengers ranks. Thus, the maps and modes used in Black Ops Cold War’s League Play are the same as those featured in the CDL: Hardpoint: Checkmate, Garrison, Crossroads, Raid, Moscow – Search & Destroy: Checkmate, Garrison, Moscow, Miami, Raid – Control: Checkmate, Garrison, Raid – As for the restricted items, there are several weapons, attachments, scorestreaks, gear, perks, that cannot be used in LP matches. That said, LP does allow you to use your own custom classes, weapon camos, and Blueprints – although any restricted attachments on those Blueprints will be removed before each match starts. However, for those who don’t know enough or can’t be bothered to make their own classes, you can use the preset CDL ones that were recently added, featuring weapons and attachments used by professional players.

LCS analyst reveals one thing League can learn from Call of Duty esports – Dexerto
LCS analyst reveals one thing League can learn from Call of Duty esports YouTube: David Szajnuk/Call of Duty LeagueLCS analyst Emily Rand has spoken about her previous passion for Call of Duty and COD esports, and revealed the one thing she thinks League of Legends could learn from the first-person shooter. League of Legends is right up there with Counter-Strike as one of the greatest esports in the world, with a very solid infrastructure and huge viewership. That said, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect by any stretch, and fans have a number of ideas of how things could be improved, whether it’s best of threes over best of ones or more international tournaments. LCS analyst Rand, however, thinks that one way to make the league more exciting isn’t in a structural change or something that Riot could do, but instead comes from the players and the community. “This doesn’t apply to every region but like … It is so fun to be at a COD event,” she explained to LoL esports content creator David Sjaznuk. “There’s beef upon beef, that can go back years and years between players that really want to beat each other. “I know we do have that in League, but we rarely get that side of players being open and honest about it. I think part of the reason is a lot of times, you get shouted down on social media because there isn’t that same expectation from the League fan community. “But it’s actually so much fun to see COD players just yelling at each other, yelling at fans in the audience, fans yelling back… It’s a really cool, organic way that people are participating in sport. It’s the most traditional sports vibe that I’ve ever had is at COD events.” Quoted sections of the video begin at the 10:10 minute mark. Rand explained that she doesn’t believe League of Legends needs to be like traditional sports, but that Call of Duty is great for having the engaged crowd aspect of it. She added that CBLoL — the top-level Brazilian league — does have that kind of atmosphere too. She went on to make her pick for the winner of the Call of Duty Championship in July. Despite not watching the current Call of Duty League season, she took a look at the rosters and hazarded a guess that OpTic Texas would bring home the trophy, admitting that she “wants to root for Kenny.”

Latest update in Black Ops 4 introduces major 9-Bang nerf and more – full patch notes – Dexerto
Latest update in Black Ops 4 introduces major 9-Bang nerf and more – full patch notes Treyarch have released the patch notes for the most recent game settings update in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The update, which went live across all platforms on October 24, introduces some major changes throughout the game’s three modes – Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout. There are some major issues in the game that have been addressed in this update, such as the recent glitch that was allowing players to go underground on the Morocco Multiplayer map. Additionally, a major nerf has been implemented to the 9-Bang throwable item in Blackout, which now has both an increased charge time and fuse time before detonation. The 9-Bang was arguably the most discussed item in Blackout among the player-base, as many often complained about how overpowered its effects can be. In addition to the implemented changes and fixes, Treyarch also announced what they’ve been working on for Black Ops 4 in future updates. There is also a major game update coming in the near future that will address weapon balancing and critical audio issues in Blackout. More information about both of those topics can be seen HERE. The full patch notes for the October 24 game settings update in Black Ops 4 can be viewed below: General Black Market Resolved an issue where the incorrect animation played after a match in which the player did not rank up. – – Miscellaneous General stability improvements across Multiplayer, Blackout, and Zombies. – – – Black Market – Multiplayer Scorestreaks Increased Thresher fire rate and projectile speed. – Increased Sniper’s Nest fire rate and duration. – – Gear Slightly reduced Acoustic Sensor detection range. – – Maps Fixed an exploit on Morocco where the player could end up under the map. – – Create-a-Class Resolved an issue where Reactive Camos were not appearing correctly in Create-a-Class. – Updated unlock requirement text for the MX9 Reactive Camo. – – Miscellaneous Long playlist names now display properly on the Multiplayer menu. – – – Scorestreaks – Blackout Equipment Reduced inventory stack size for 9-Bang and Cluster Grenade from 2 to 1. – Increased charge time for 9-Bang. – Increased fuse time before detonation for 9-Bang. – – Perks Reduced Dead Silence duration to 120 seconds to match Awareness. – – Miscellaneous Resolved an issue where Multiplayer Custom Games were not working properly after leaving a Blackout match and opening a custom Multiplayer lobby. – – – Equipment – PC Specific Changes Zombies Resolved an issue that caused the neon numbers in Blood of the Dead to disappear when Model Quality was set to Low. – – Blackout Resolved an issue that enabled players to start with 200 Health if a Trauma Kit was used as a Blackout match was starting. – – Source – Reddit

Latest MW3 aftermarket part grants a movement boost that no other underbarrel has – Dexerto
Latest MW3 aftermarket part grants a movement boost that no other underbarrel has ActivisionModern Warfare 3’s JAK Slash aftermarket part is the only underbarrel to help improve tactical sprint speed, and that mobility boost makes it a great attachment for Warzone. Aftermarket parts re-imagine what we think of conventional weapons and attachments. MW3’s new system has opened the door for fun and creative spins on what’s possible. For example, the JAK Cataclysm aftermarket part transformed the RPK from a forgettable LMG into a two-shot killing machine in Warzone. After taking over the battle royale meta for a few days, Raven Software was forced to bring the hammer down with a huge nerf to the attachment. In saying that, every week, the development team comes up with a new exciting invention. Sledgehammer Games’ latest creation is an underbarrel that doubles as a combat knife. This is important because a combat knife can down a fully plated enemy with two swipes, but the attachment also comes with a mobility boost worth noting. The JAK Slash improves movement boosts to every mobility category besides ADS movement speed and provides an eight percent improvement to vertical recoil. And best yet, the attachment only decreases hipfire and tactical stance spread, which wont impact most players. A three percent boost to tactical sprint speed may not sound like a lot on paper, but given that this is the only underbarrel to help that category makes it a good attachment to consider using. For short-range meta loadouts, we still expect the DR-6 Hanstop and XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop to remain popular thanks to their better mobility and handling improvements. In saying that, improved sprint speed is a game-changer, and the ability to two hit down an enemy with a combat knife attachment elevates this new aftermarket part to another level. So while we don’t expect this attachment to be overpowered like we have seen from other aftermarket parts, if you want to catch enemies off guard with an aggressive playstyle, the JAK Slash will be perfect. For more on how to unlock the JAK Slash, check out our guide on the Season 5 weekly challenges.

Latest Modern Warfare weapon buffs & nerfs in Feb 25 update – Dexerto
Latest Modern Warfare weapon buffs & nerfs in Feb 25 update Infinity WardThe new 1.15 update went live for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on February 25, implement weapon balancing changes to several of the guns in multiplayer. Modern Warfare is currently the early stages of its second season, and the February 25 patch added some more new content, like a Gunfight map, several playlists, and modes. The update also included some weapon tuning, aimed at several guns and attachments in multiplayer Infinity Ward felt either needed to boosted or nerfed. All in all, eight guns were tweaked, including three shotguns and the new Striker 45 SMG, which was introduced at the start of Season 2. This weapon balancing update was a bit unique in that some of the changes were not to the guns as a whole but rather only certain attachments, which has rarely been done so far in Modern Warfare. Read More: Modern Warfare 1.15 update patch notes – A full breakdown of all the buffs and nerfs can be found below, including the official patch notes. Weapon buffs There were four boosts given to three weapons with this patch – the Model 680 shotgun, SA87 LMG, and AK-47 assault rifle. The range of the Model 680 was increased, both for the shotgun as a whole and its XRK 30.0 Sport barrel, which is a “longer barrel with a 10 round tube that tightens pellet spread, extends range, and carries extra ammo at the cost of agility.” The SA87, which was also recently buffed in the Season 2 launch update, now features an even more reduced recoil. Last but not least, the AK 5.45 x 39mm round mags attachment’s close and mid-range damage were both increased. Weapon nerfs Four weapons were nerfed with this patch – all three shotguns except for the 725 and the Crossbow. The Model 680’s XRK 18.0″ Liberator, R9-0 Force TAC Sentry, and Origin 12 Forge TAC Precision attachments all had their range decreased slightly and aim-down-sights speed increased. Meanwhile, the Crossbow’s reload speed was increased, which is not the first time that this aspect of the recently-released weapon has been adjusted. Back in the Season 2 launch update, Infinity Ward mentioned the Crossbow’s reload would keep getting touched up as they continued to “fine-tune” it. Other changes There were also a couple of changes made that don’t necessarily fall into either buffs or nerfs, or have elements of both. For one, the Striker 45’s range and ADS speed was “fixed” to match the description of the 300mm Poly Barrel, which is intended to increase muzzle velocity and improve range while slightly decreasing mobility and thus ADS speed. Read More: Fan theory suggests Warzone BR is imminent – The Under Barrel Shotgun attachments were considerably tweaked – its pellet count was increased, rate of fire reduced, shell count increased to 8, autoswap tuned for when ammo is complete, and range increased. Modern Warfare 1.15 update – weapon balancing patch notes Here is the section of the patch notes having to do with the weapons tuning and changes. For a look at the entire update, make sure to check out the full Modern Warfare 1.15 patch notes. Fixed a bug where weapons stopped showing level progress 1 level before their max rank, giving the appearance that they are no longer gaining XP – Striker 45: Fixing range and ADS speed to match the description of the 300mm Poly Barrel – Model 680: Slight range increase – Model 680 XRK 30.0 Sport: range increase – Slight Range decrease and ADS increase to the following: Model 680 – XRK 18.0” Liberator – R9-0 Force TAC Sentry – Origin 12 Forge TAC Precision – – Under Barrel Shotguns: increased pellet count, reduced rate of fire, increased shell count to 8, tuned autoswap after ammo is complete, range increase – Crossbow: Increased reload speed – Fixed a bug where the Akimbo Snakeshot .357s did not register damage for both guns when fired on the same frame – Reduced recoil to the SA87 12.4 Factory Barrel – Increased close and mid-range damage for the AK 5.45x39mm round mags –

Latest Image Tweeted By Fortnite Contains a Potential Teaser for CoD: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale – Dexerto
Latest Image Tweeted By Fortnite Contains a Potential Teaser for CoD: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale An image has been posted on the official Twitter page of the popular game Fortnite: Battle Royale that contains what could potentially be a huge teaser. The image is an advertisement for the new Chromium Outfit skin and Persuader pickaxe, but fans and players have paid attention to something else entirely. This was the image that was tweeted on the Fortnite Twitter page on May 10th. Built for one purpose. Victory. Boot up with the new Chromium Outfit and Persuader Pickaxe in the store now! pic.twitter.com/eTCKWmFtUl — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 11, 2018 While initially difficult to spot, many were quick to realize that one of the dog tags worn by the Chromium character features what could be the logo of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. While not exactly identical, the logo on the dog tag features what appear to be four orange lines, which many are comparing to the unmistakable orange Roman Numerals that make up the Black Ops 4 logo. Furthermore, the CEO of CoD’s publishing company Activision specifically mentioned Fortnite by name in their recent financial call, describing the game’s strong success as a positive direction for the online gaming community. If indeed Activision and developer Treyarch do decide to include a Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4, perhaps teaming up with Fortnite’s successful developer Epic Games would be the best approach. However, until anything regarding this is officially discussed or confirmed, than this potential teaser should only be considered speculation.

Latest Black Ops 4 update hints at future changes to Black Market progression – Dexerto
Latest Black Ops 4 update hints at future changes to Black Market progression Treyarch have released another Game Settings Update for Black Ops 4 and it touches on some of the biggest areas that fans have been wanting answers on. Over the last few days, Call of Duty fans have taken to Reddit and Twitter to express their displeasure over a few issues that have plagued Black Ops 4 in the two weeks since launch. In the latest Game Settings Update to Black Ops 4, Treyarch have shed some light on those issues while hinting at some major changes to come. In regards to Black Market progression, Treyarch has let players know that starting October 23, they “will now earn Tier progression both faster and more consistently.” Perhaps more intriguing was Treyarch’s proceeding statement that hinted towards the addition of microtransactions to Black Ops 4 in the near future. In addition to the base earn rate, we will also be bringing online earn rate accelerators and challenge-based and event-based Tier Skip rewards in future updates. What these “accelerators” will look like isn’t known yet, but given the speed at which Treyarch has been making updates to the game, the wait for them shouldn’t be long. Treyarch also talked about updates that are being made to network performance after clever fans noticed that Black Ops 4’s servers had been downgraded from the beta. While no changes have been made just yet, Treyarch confirmed that they’ve “completed the first phase of planned changes to network configuration in targeted locations.” They further added that they will be keeping a close eye on the issue moving forward to ensure that things are performing as smooth as possible. Next, some important news regarding network performance: as of today, we have completed the first phase of planned changes to network configuration in targeted locations. We are carefully monitoring overall performance to ensure that these updates are working as expected before completing the next phase of updates. It’s important that we roll out updates in a carefully staged process, as changes to networking infrastructure can potentially produce both positive and negative effects, and we need to monitor every update closely. The stability and performance of the game for the entire community is always our top priority, and we’re continuing to work to sustain the smooth performance of the game’s launch throughout its opening weeks. Other highlights of the latest update include the inclusion of multiple new playlists in Multiplayer and various bug fixes in all three modes, including the pesky memory leak issue that had been affecting PC players. You can read the full patch notes below: Oct. 23 Update: Black Market Progression, Network Performance, Mercenary Playlist Lots of news to cover today! First: with last week’s launch of the Black Market for PS4 players, the earn rate for unlocking Black Market Tiers did not perform as we intended. We’ve implemented a first pass at addressing some issues and rebalancing the system across all modes, and as with everything, this will be an ongoing process to dial it into exactly where it needs to be. As of today, players will now earn Tier progression both faster and more consistently across all modes of play in Blackout and Multiplayer. In addition to the base earn rate, we will also be bringing online earn rate accelerators and challenge-based and event-based Tier Skip rewards in future updates. Next, some important news regarding network performance: as of today, we have completed the first phase of planned changes to network configuration in targeted locations. The stability and performance of the game for the entire community is always our top priority, and we’re continuing to work to sustain the smooth performance of the game’s launch throughout its opening weeks. And for our MP lone wolves, today’s update brings the “Mercenary Capture Moshpit” to the Featured playlist, which includes 5v5 Domination, Hardpoint, and Control with no Parties allowed. Black Ops 4: Nov. 27 update adds Firing Range Night and Seaside Sunset maps, plus two new modes – Patch Notes – Dexerto
Black Ops 4: Nov. 27 update adds Firing Range Night and Seaside Sunset maps, plus two new modes – Patch Notes The latest game settings update for November 27 has gone live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, introducing two new Mulitplayer maps and modes. The brand new Seaside Sunset and Firing Range Night maps have been added to the Multiplayer map pool, bringing the total number of maps in the game to 17. These two maps are not entirely brand new in terms of layout since they’re based off the existing Seaside and Firing Range maps. However, they feature the maps during a different time of the day than normal, which changes the way each landscape looks dramatically. Both maps are now live across all platforms and are not part of the Black Ops Pass, which means they are free to play for all players. In this version, the score limit is increased to a whopping 1,000 points, the Hardpoint Zones spawn in random order after the first zones, the team score increases with each additional teammate inside the active Hardpoint Zone. Another new mode that’s been added is Safeguard, which makes a return after first being introduced in Black Ops 3. In Safeguard, two teams play an objective based match which involves a giant robot. On offense, teams must try and get the robot from one side to the other before time expires, while the defensive team must try and stop the team and robot from advancing. The Black Ops 4 version caps the max player count at 10, which would be two less than the max 12 player Safeguard lobbies in Black Ops 3. FROM TREYARCH: In today’s Black Ops 4 update: Safeguard makes its Black Ops 4 debut on PS4 in Multiplayer! Escort the robot into enemy territory and keep the opposing team from doing the same to secure the win. We’ve also added three new playlists to the Featured category on all platforms: Hardcore Nuketown, Mercenary Objective Moshpit, and Chaos Hardpoint. See below for details and let us know what you think. Seaside Sunset and Firing Range Night join the MP map rotation starting today as well, bringing a new nighttime flair to two of our most frenetic maps. These map variants are free for all players and join the map rotation indefinitely – let us know which version you prefer in the comments. For our Blackout players, the Bowie Knife is now available in Equipment Stashes and as Zombies-related drops on all platforms! Get your hands on one for some stealthy 1-hit kills. We’ve also added Character Missions to unlock Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen, and the Blightfather event has returned on PS4, now with reduced Blightfather health in Solos and Duos for faster takedowns. Zombies gets a new round of stability updates today, including fixes for crashes in all maps and specific fixes for IX. Stay tuned for additional improvements in a future update, and some exciting additions to Zombies in the coming weeks. Also, a note to our South American Blackout players: We’re currently testing a Featured Playlist-only setup on consoles to ensure more players in the region are able to join fuller matches with solid pings. Thanks for your patience as we continue to evaluate various solutions to deliver the best experience possible for Blackout players in this region, and please continue to give us your feedback here and on Twitter (@Treyarch and @TreyarchPC). Finally, we’ve added a new Summary section below to provide a quick glimpse at what’s new in each update. “Laser beam” AR dominates Warzone after recent buff – Dexerto
“Laser beam” AR dominates Warzone after recent buff ActivisionBefore weapon tuning is gone for good, Metaphor used Warzone’s controversial feature to craft the perfect AR for medium and short-range engagements. Content creators making loadouts will look very different in Modern Warfare 3. Sledgehammer Games received a round of applause from community members, announcing the removal of weapon tuning in MW3. The controversial feature allowed players to fine-tune weapons to cater to different playstyles. For example, an AR could be adjusted to improve mobility and aim down-sight speed for close-range engagements. Or, the feature allowed players to lean the other way and maximize recoil stabilization and damage range. As a result, content creators made it their mission to find the perfect tuning for every Warzone loadout. However, we still have a while before MW3’s Warzone iteration, so Metaphor used all of the tools at his disposal. Metaphor crowns Kastov 545 as king of mid-range gunfights In the October 11 update, The Kastov 545 saw its mid-range damage increase. Without specific numbers, it’s impossible to tell how much of a difference the change made, but Metaphor believes the slight upgrade elevated the AR into Warzone’s meta. Metaphor argued: “This gun has been kind of a sleeper for a while now and has absolutely zero recoil and is a complete laser beam at range.” The Kastov 545 doesn’t come without its faults, as Metaphor admitted: “The damage does kind of fall off at super long range, but if they are mid or close range, there are not many guns that are going to beat this thing.” Best Kastov 545 loadout Here is Metaphor’s go-to Kastov 545 loadout. Barrel: IG-K30 406MM (+0.18, +0.30) – Optic: AIM OP-V4 (-2.81, -1.65) – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper (+0.75, +0.04) – Ammunition: 5.45 High Velocity (+0.70, -9.00) – Magazine: 45 Round Mag – Metaphor leaned into the Kastov 545’s strength by focusing all the tuning on improving recoil and damage range. The YouTuber admitted that most ARs need a muzzle, but the recoil tuning made it possible to use High-Velocity ammunition instead. If the Kastov 545 didn’t quite check every box, check out our guide on the best Warzone AR loadouts.

Las Vegas Legion reveal CDL roster for Modern Warfare 2 season – Dexerto
Las Vegas Legion reveal CDL roster for Modern Warfare 2 season CDL / LVLThe newly formed Las Vegas Legion have revealed their Call of Duty League roster for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 season. The release of a new Call of Duty title also means the beginning of a new esports season for all competitive CoD fans. Details are rapidly piling up about the new Call of Duty League season, expected to start in December of 2022, just a month or after Modern Warfare 2 itself drops. We’re also seeing a considerable shuffle in terms of organizations and players, with a mammoth rostermania finally coming to a close. The Paris Legion are no longer French, upping and moving to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada. October 7 also saw the org confirm its starting roster, and long-term fans of competitive CoD may struggle to avoid feeling nostalgic. Las Vegas Legion confirm Clayster return Firstly, the return of CoD legend James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has been confirmed. The three-time world champion suffered a horrible Vanguard season, being dropped from the NYSL and struggling to find a new team. However, he makes his way back onto a CDL org’s starting roster, and does so for Las Vegas alongside Temp, TJHaLy and Prolute, who many fans will know for his short stint filling in on OpTic Texas during the Vanguard season. It’s a nice mix of new and old and plenty of fans are eager to see what the talented team can do in the Call of Duty League. While there are naturally more and less talented players, a new title annually gives an air of unpredictability to every CDL season. The Las Vegas Legion’s roster is as follows: James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks – Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda – Byron ‘Prolute’ Vera – Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly – The news has fans excited for what the organization can do moving forwards, especially as they try and leave behind the struggles that plagued the Paris roster from start to finish.

Lara Croft in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone confirmed for new operator – Dexerto
Lara Croft in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone confirmed for new operator Square EnixActivision confirmed that Lara Croft is coming as an operator in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming crossover. Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 have recently ramped up their efforts in launching exciting crossovers. In Season 4, Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir from The Boys superhero show joined as operators. And then the following season, likely as a nod to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, added Snoop Dog, Nicki Minaj, and Snoop Dog as new operators. Previously, TMNT’s main villain, Shredder, took over WZ lobbies, and fans wanted another action icon in John Wick. However, the devs decided to choose a different action legend and announced a Lara Croft operator. Let’s jump right into everything coming. Lara Craft announced for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone On August 23, Activision announced: “Pistols ready. Prepared for drop in. Lara Croft is coming to Call of Duty.” The eight-second video doesn’t reveal much, but it does show Lara Craft’s operator from behind in Al Mazrah brandishing her signature dual-wield pistols. Those pistols will undoubtedly be a nightmare to deal with in the waters of Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel. If you grew up under a rock, Lara Croft is the main protagonist of the video game franchise Tomb Raider. As the title suggests, she is a British archaeologist who takes on the world’s most dangerous tombs. As of 2023, there are a total of 19 Tomb Raider games, with the last mainline series entry coming in 2018. There have also been three blockbuster Tomb Raider movies with Alicia Vikander taking over the role from Angelina Jolie. Unfortunatley, the future of the Tomb Raider video game franchise is somewhat shrouded in doubt. In May 2022, long-time publisher of the franchise Square Enix sold the rights to the series to Swedish firm Embracer Group along with three of its Western development teams – Eidos-Montréal, Crystal Dynamics, and Square Enix Montréal – for $300 million. Crystal Dynamics recently inked a deal with Amazon Games to publish a new multiplatform Tomb Raider installment, but details remain scarce.

Land0 retires from CDL casting just as MW3’s season kicks off Twitter: LandOCall of Duty League caster Landon ‘LandO’ Sanders announced he will be taking a break from casting for the foreseeable furture. Former caster Benson left the casting team in 2020 amid a legal issue surrounding misconduct ,and LandO would take his place, teaming up with caster and analyst Jeremy “Studyy” Astacio. After spending the last three years with Activision and the CDL, LandO took to YouTube to release a video regarding his future steps in his career. The Call of Duty community honors LandO’s career LandO starts off the video by saying that he doesn’t know if he is retiring from casting or if he is simply taking a break. However, what is clear is that he will not be returning to cast the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 season. “I know it’s time for me to step away,” said LandO. “I know it’s time for me to go on and do something different. This feels like the most difficult decision I’ve had to make in my life. I don’t know if that comes as a surprise to some people, or maybe it’s not.” LandO explained that he had not been paying attention to the release of MW3. In previous years he explained that he would not only be playing the game but watching streams and taking notes. It seems that LandO had already determined his future by the conclusion of the previous season. “I’ve known for a while that this is it,” said LandO. “I even came into Champs from last season thinking in my head that this could be the last time. I walked into Sunday thinking that this could be the final moment that I have.” Following his announcement, members within the CDL took the time to commemorate LandO and what he had accomplished over the last three years. He has the support of both professional players and his former colleagues following his announcement. “Thank you Lando,” said caster and analyst Miles Ross. “Thank you for your wit, your talent, the insane sound bites, your kindness, your voice and the seemingly endless supply of air in those lungs. Boundless passion, impossibly hard work, love and painful laughter are how I’ll remember our time together. You are a brilliant person and a good friend. GGs brother.” LandO does not yet know what is next for him in terms of casting or content creation. Additionally, the CDL has not revealed who may be replacing him as a caster for the upcoming year.

LAG Academy’s Exceed explains why Challengers is the “backbone” of CDL – Dexerto
LAG Academy’s Exceed explains why Challengers is the “backbone” of CDL Twitter: ExceedLAG Academy’s Kaden ‘Exceed’ Stockdale explained why “you can’t have the CDL without Challengers” in an exclusive interview with Dexerto. Activision created the Call of Duty Challengers esports circuit in 2020 to grow and develop the next generation of talent for the Call of Duty League. The amateur division’s inaugural season unearthed two gems that would go on to make an immediate impact in the Call of Duty League. Amer ‘Pred’ Zulbeari and Paco’ HyDra’ Rusiewiez dominated their stints as amateurs, earning spots on CDL rosters. In 2022, Pred became the first Australian-born player to win a major tournament and captured Rookie of the Year honors. The “French Phenom” HyDra made the 2021 and 2022 CDL All-Star teams and helped lead the New York Subliners to back-to-back CDL Pro-Am titles. Both success stories serve as examples of what Challengers is capable of producing. However, Exceed criticized the current state of amateur CoD and demanded better conditions if the CDL expects to keep producing high-quality talent. CoD Challengers is chock full of untapped potential The Call of Duty League’s first major of 2023 used a Pro-Am format, where four Challengers teams qualified to compete in the pool play of CDL Major I. Usually, CDL and Challengers league usually host separate tournaments, but the Pro-Am format allows amateurs to compete against professional CDL teams. Elevate made the most of its chance by stunning the Boston Breach 3-2, and LAG Academy took down the London Royal Ravens 3-2 in group play. None of the Challengers teams made it past group play, but strong performances proved the amateur division boasts a wealth of talent. Exceed relished the opportunity to play against Atlanta FaZe on the main stage in front of a huge audience. Unfortunately, that will be his only chance on the main stage if he remains in Challengers. Out of the five CDL Majors, only one uses a Pro-Am format, and Exceed questioned the reasoning behind that decision. “I think every single person in the pro league and Challengers thinks that this should be the format for every event. I understand the reasoning why they can’t, but if we can somehow figure out a way to get Challengers more involved with the CDL, it’s the best thing you could do for everybody.” Should the CDL consider expansion? Call of Duty’s original esports league, the CWL, included 16 teams, but the Call of Duty League started in reduced that number to 12 when it began in 2020. Exceed believes there is enough talent in Challengers to warrant an expansion. “I think you could put six more teams of actual competitive teams from Challengers. In two of the groups this weekend, I think if we were seeded in different groups, we get out of pools pretty easily.” CDL pros shared their thoughts during CDL Major I press conferences with Dexerto if there is enough talent for expansion. LA Thieves’ Dylan “Envoy” Hannon stated, “I think there is enough talent to expand the league. I don’t know how many teams; maybe two, but four would be pushing it. We don’t want to have it like the CWL, where a team was getting slammed every event in group play.” Toronto Ultras’ Eli “Standy” Bentz argued, “There is a narrative that pros are supposed to dominate Challengers and pros are so much better than Challengers, but I mean, there are only 48 spots in the league, so there is such a slight difference between skill. “ Florida Mutineers’ Michael ‘MajorManiak’ Szymaniak said, “Challengers doesn’t really have that spotlight on them. Still, there is a lot of talent and a lot of hungry players, and when they have their opportunity to play on the stage, they are going to show it.” The problems with Challengers and how CDL can improve After dropping out of group play at Major I, LAG Academy went on to win the CDC Raleigh 2023 Challengers cup, showing that the roster is talented enough to warrant some of the few CDL roster spots. Exceed claimed, “if league teams aren’t calling all four of us after this weekend, then I don’t know what can.” The LAG Academy player won the 2022 Challengers championship, and “coming into this year, I was surprised I didn’t get any offers.” Some Challengers players face the harsh reality of never getting an opportunity to play for a professional team. “It’s pretty frustrating as a Challengers player. I feel like I am right on the cusp of getting into the league, but its just one of those things: how long can you do it for before it becomes financially unstable for some of these players.” Fixing Challengers begins with better promotion and communication. At Major events, Challengers cup matches are not streamed anywhere, and the only way to watch matches is if an attendee streams the matches themselves on Twitch or provides live updates on social media. “There are people that will watch it, but we have to get it out there more,” Exceed said. “I think the best thing the CDL could do, is give someone for us to talk to in order to work together and try to improve it.” CoD legend Seth’ Scump’ Abner is retiring at the end of the season, and Ian’ Crimsix’ Porter retired in 2022. CoD esports is approaching the end of an era, and the next superstar could go unnoticed if conditions in Challengers aren’t improved. “I think everyone in the Call of Duty scene knows that Challengers is the backbone of the Esport, Exceed argued. “You can’t have the CDL without Challengers.”

Lachmann Sub becomes Warzone 2’s most dominant gun after Fennec’s Season 2 nerf – Dexerto
Lachmann Sub becomes Warzone 2’s most dominant gun after Fennec’s Season 2 nerf ActivisionAfter a number of weapon balancing changes made in the Season 2 update, the Lachmann Sub has officially become the most popular weapon in Warzone 2, with the likes of the RPK and Fennec dropping off since. Season 2 brought a number of huge changes to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, a welcome development as players started clamoring for new content. Of these changes, many players were desperate for a meta shift, with the RPK and Fennec being the go-to loadout in the battle royale ever since the game launched. Now, that has changed slightly, especially with the Fennec’s overall damage profile being reduced, moving it out of the meta SMG choices. MP5 tops Warzone 2 pick rate leaderboard According to WZRanked, the Fennec has dropped down the pecking order from being the most popular gun in the game, to barely scraping the top 10. In its place, the Lachmann Sub, or MP5 has stormed up the rankings to become the number one most popular gun in the game, with a 26.4% pick rate — level with the TAQ-56 assault rifle. Both guns now have a comfortable lead over the third-choice gun, the RPK, which has just a 5% pick rate, miles off where it once was. The Fennec is still the second-most popular SMG, but it has been overtaken in the meta rankings by a number of other LMGs and ARs. If you’re looking to take full advantage of the MP5, be sure to check out our best Lachmann Sub loadout so you can dominate across both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

LA Thieves win Call of Duty League Major IV: “We’re the team to beat” – Dexerto
LA Thieves win Call of Duty League Major IV: “We’re the team to beat” Twitter: LA ThievesThe fourth and final stage of the 2022 Call of Duty League season has crowned a fourth champion: the Los Angeles Thieves. Beating the miracle-making New York Subliners in Brooklyn, CoD’s newest champs now have the trophy to match their star-studded roster. Two seasons ago, 100 Thieves lucked into a CDL franchise opening when OpTic Gaming Los Angeles sold their way out of the league. A season ago, the organization struggled to meet expectations and rotated eight different players across their four starting spots – which still wasn’t enough to finish in the top three of any tournament. This year, despite their brand-new lineup failing to reach the top three of any Major, the Thieves ignored their detractors and stuck to their guns, maintaining the same lineup all season. Now with $200,000 added to their bank accounts and a new “gruesome” trophy on their mantelpiece, that commitment to the four has been rewarded. To reach this point, LA had to fight through Atlanta FaZe (twice), Toronto Ultra, and the New York Subliners in a 4-1 masterclass at CDL 2022 Major IV. While many had doubted this lineup’s capacity to meet its early expectations, their new AR, Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, explained that “it was only a matter of time.” Outlasting the haters While the Thieves finished the Stage IV Qualifiers in fourth with a 3-2 match count, the team’s buzz was minimal. Their flashy 2022 signings, Octane and Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon, hadn’t helped the organization to a top-three finish yet and haters had seemingly already written the group off. When asked about the team being criticized for ‘underperforming’,’ Envoy did not shy away: “Rightfully so, I feel like in the beginning of the game we… not deserved it, but we obviously weren’t the team we are now.” As for what changed, Octane was quick to credit the addition of coach Shane ‘ShAne’ McKerral at the end of Stage III. Likening ShAne’s addition to the multi-champion 100T’s roster change in Black Ops 4, Octane explained that “there was a shift in our practice mentality. “I think we were going about things a little bit too broadly and once we picked up Shane, things started to hone in a little bit more, our minds got a little focused and we started putting in extra time and the shift was pretty immediate.” Beating New York in New York To even get to the Grand Finals, LA had to beat the best team in CoD (according to the 2022 standings) twice. According to Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, the team’s sharpened mentality was key to getting past Atlanta. “I felt like we were playing perfect CoD. Our comms were all there, everything we needed to communicate, any time we needed to slow the game down and work together… that’s just the one thing we’ve been focused on is just shooting together.” After beating FaZe in Winners Round 1, LA proceeded to beat Ultra in Winners Round 2, lose to the Subliners in Winners Finals, and beat FaZe in the Losers Finals to make their way back. As for what happened against New York in the first matchup? Octane explained that “they were playing maps we don’t play, they were getting freebies.” Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan colorfully elaborated “they had good side every map. We just didn’t give a f**k.” Following Winners Finals, Subliners SMG Paco ‘HyDra’ Rusiewiez seemed confident about the map choices, contending that Berlin was New York’s “playground”. While the map was 2-1 in NY’s favor during the Winners Finals, it went 3-0 for LA in the Grand Finals. That assertion fell on deaf ears in the Thieves camp. Octane noted that map count, Drazah pointed to the trophy on the table, and Envoy responded in kind: “Berlin’s definitely not their playground. They need some work.” While the in-game maps were one thing, the real-world location was another. The New York Major, at Kings Theater in Brooklyn, drew praise from the community all weekend long. Although the crowd was deafening in support of the Subliners’ CDL Champs and Major IV runs, Octane welcomed the animosity: “I love that sh*t. Playing against the crowd is one of my favorite things, I’ve done it my entire career – most predominantly against OpTic, which is when you notice it the most – but playing against the crowd is always more fun.” The “team to beat” During this Major IV run, the Thieves have called their teamwork “immaculate,” their Call of Duty “perfect,” and their opponents “scrambled.” Having beaten the home team 5-3 in the Grand Finals, with every single player finishing with a positive K/D, it’s hard to disagree with those statements. The Los Angeles Thieves, for the first time in their CDL franchise history, are CoD champions. Up next: the $2.55 million playoffs, CDL Champs, where LA will match up against the Boston Breach in Winners Round 1. With the Major in the bag, the team has their eyes set high: “Grand Finals,” Kenny asserted. “I don’t think there’s any match or any team right now that I’m looking to play, I think we’re the team to beat so, Grand Finals [is the goal].”

LA Thieves unveil fancy new ‘million dollar’ team house for CDL 2021 – Dexerto
LA Thieves unveil fancy new ‘million dollar’ team house for CDL 2021 LA ThievesIn a brand-new video uploaded to Twitter and YouTube, the Call of Duty League’s newest team, the Los Angeles Thieves, gave viewers the first deep dive and tour of their new team house for the 2021 season and it’s…pretty lavish. If you’ve been curious about what the LA Thieves’ team house is going be like for the CDL 2021 season, then 100T has you covered. The CDL team has given fans a look at their brand-new house and, given everything included and its hefty price tag, it’s safe to say that it’s probably going to put all of your dream house ideas to shame. Let’s kick off game day with another big announcement. Welcome to the The LA Thieves Team House. If you look closely, you can even see our new partners @GameFuel in the video. #GameFuelPartner #LAThieves pic.twitter.com/s6NY0AZ8Pm — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) February 11, 2021 The five-plus-minute video, hosted by 100T content creator Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt and general manager Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders, goes over all the fine details of their described “million-dollar” house. Everything is covered in the new video, from the kitchen to the workout area and the player lounge, where members are able to kick back and relax after tough games and practices. Easily one of the nicest areas of the house, and the one that’ll probably gain the most attention, is the main competitive area, which has four custom gaming PCs, set up next to each other, donning the standard LA Thieves red and black colors, of course. It’s even complete with a mini-fridge and some cupholders at each setup. Another hilarious highlight in the video comes in the form of the “top-secret room”, which both Muddawg and Enable hype up for a few seconds. Sure, despite gives way to simply revealing a bathroom, but it’s nonetheless a nice looking bathroom at that, and for a million dollars it better be. All in all, it’s a pretty solid looking house, but will it help the team win the matches it needs to in the long-run? So far, the team is off to a good start, dominating their first match against the Minnesota ROKKR 3-1. For updates on the team going forward in the season, including possible upgrades to their team house, keep it locked to Dexerto.

LA Thieves trim CDL roster: SlasheR, John, TJHaLy, Venom all dropped – Dexerto
LA Thieves trim CDL roster: SlasheR, John, TJHaLy, Venom all dropped LA Thieves / Call of Duty LeagueThe Los Angeles Thieves have announced a drastic shakeup to its Call of Duty League roster, confirming that four star players in Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, Johnathan ‘John’ Perez, Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, and Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez, have all been released. SlasheR, John, TJHaLy, and Venom dropped from LA Thieves. – Drazah, Kenny, and Huke remain under contract. – No new additions have yet been revealed. – As the 2022 CDL offseason continues to ramp up, LA Thieves have announced some changes to its lineup. SlasheR, John, TJHaLy, and Venom have all been released, leaving just three players under contract at the franchise. John had the shortest stint with the team, having only just returned from a two-year hiatus in June. The former world champion and 2016 MVP played through Stage 5 and this year’s Champs with the LA Thieves, finishing in eighth place. Meanwhile, SlasheR and TJHaLy had been with the LA Thieves from day one. When 100 Thieves announced its entry into the league, it did so with both players in the starting lineup. Having since rotated around the bench a great deal, both are now free agents. Similar can be said for 20-year old Venom who spent much of his time under the Thieves banners on the bench or in the Challengers pit. Thank you to @John287, @TJHaLy & @Vxnxm for being a part of our organization during the 2021 season. We wish you all the best in your competitive careers moving forward. pic.twitter.com/w4zCpKHYXJ — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) September 1, 2021 This shakeup now leaves just three players signed to the team. Drazah, Kenny, and Huke all remain under contract. For the time being, however, there’s no telling if this will remain the case for all too long. Be sure to check back at @DexertoIntel and keep a close eye on our rostermania hub for all the latest.

LA Thieves replace Huke with Drazah in Stage 4 Major due to misspelled name drama – Dexerto
LA Thieves replace Huke with Drazah in Stage 4 Major due to misspelled name drama Call of Duty LeagueAfter bringing Huke back into their Stage 4 CDL lineup, the LA Thieves have benched him again, just hours before the Major. According to the team, it’s because of difficulties involving a missed test and a misspelled name. The Thieves benched Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland shortly after spending a bag to acquire him. Then, following a tell-all video, they brought him and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat back into the starting lineup to finish up Stage 4. Now, just a couple hours prior to their loser’s round opener against the LA Guerrillas in Stage 4’s Major, LA have benched Huke again. First explaining that Huke missed a health protocol test, the Thieves announced that Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan will be taking his spot on the second SMG. For our match today vs. the Guerillas, @Drazah_ will be starting in place of @huke. As part of the CDL’s COVID guidelines, players are to be tested the night before the match to determine eligibility. Huke was not available to be tested at the dedicated time. — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) June 17, 2021 Later, 100 Thieves founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag elaborated that it may not have been a missed test. Instead, Nadeshot clarified that Huke misspelled his name on the original test and then forgot his ID for a second one — adding some wrinkles of confusion to the situation. Why are you twisting this into some fan fiction conspiracy when it’s just black and white. Cuyler spelled his name wrong on his COVID test from last night so it was invalid. Then showed up to the venue without his ID and wasn’t able to be tested again. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) June 17, 2021 It’s unclear how the mishaps happened, there appears to have been some early struggles in the return to LAN. While many were hoping for Huke’s redemption arc on the big stage, Drazah may get his instead. If the Thieves beat the LA Guerrillas, they will move on to the next round of the loser’s bracket. In that case, it’s possible that Huke will be able to get an official test done and be eligible for their next match.

LA Thieves officially add John to CDL roster ahead of Stage 5 – Dexerto
LA Thieves officially add John to CDL roster ahead of Stage 5 LA ThievesFollowing earlier reports, the Los Angeles Thieves have officially announced that Black Ops 3 world champion John ‘John’ Perez will be part of their CDL roster for Stage 5 and CoD Champs. John has often been touted as one of the best SMG players in Call of Duty history, but at the beginning of the Modern Warfare season he mysteriously disappeared from the scene. He later revealed that health issues had been holding him back from competing. Throughout Black Ops Cold War, however, John has been a mainstay among the top players in the Challengers circuit, waiting for a chance to make his return to the big leagues and prove that he’s still more than capable of competing with the best. With the second season of the CDL almost wrapped up, he now finally has a chance to shine with one of the biggest brands in the league. After reports from CDL Intel via Dot Esports, LA Thieves made the news official in a June 24 announcement, shortly after dropping TJHaly. “He’s back,” The LA Thieves Twitter account revealed. “Ready to compete in the CoD League, finally,” John followed up. “A moment in the making and I’m ready to make the most of it!” Ready to compete in the @CODLeague finally and the fact that it is with @LAThieves is a blessing, a moment in the making and I’m ready to make the most of it! #LAThieves https://t.co/nrL0reTAYm — John (@John287) June 25, 2021 While earlier reports suggested that he might not be in the starting lineup right away, LA Thieves quickly put an end to the speculation. The LA Thieves Stage 5 starting lineup is as follows: Kenny – SlasheR – John – Drazah – Of course, this leaves Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland on the LAT bench once again after his groundbreaking buyout from Dallas Empire, after which he revealed he had been using Adderall during his team’s Champs win. John is now surrounded by familiar faces in the LA Thieves camp. He won his world championship alongside newly-reinstated LA Thieves starter Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and head coach Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan, which no doubt played a huge part in their rumored decision to pick him up.

LA Thieves’ Octane reveals lethal STG44 class for Call of Duty: Vanguard – Dexerto
LA Thieves’ Octane reveals lethal STG44 class for Call of Duty: Vanguard ActivisionThe STG44 has proved itself one of the most popular weapons in the CoD Vanguard Beta, and LA Thieves pro player Sam ‘Octane’ Larew has shared his favorite class to shred enemies. Call of Duty: Vanguard takes the series back to World War II, meaning a host of familiar weapons make their return to the series. We’ve already seen the Thompson M1928, MP40, and STG44 in a number of CoD titles, with all of them returning in the 2021 release. The latter has proved itself very popular with pro players thanks to its damage and range. Octane, player for the LA Thieves and long considered one of the best ARs in the world, has now shared his STG44 class in Vanguard. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: VDD 760MM OSB – Underbarrel: M3 Ready Grip – Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds – Rear Grip: Fabric Grip – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Krausnick S11S Folding – Proficiency: Pressure – Kit: Surplus – Magazine: N/A – The STG is particularly strong at medium to longer ranges in Vanguard, but has fairly bouncy recoil. This goes some way to explain why Octane has utilized attachments that balance recoil with handling and mobility. The only attachment Octane has not filled is the Magazine, unsurprising given the number of negatives the category provides. As for his optic, this is one you can change out depending on personal preference. We’d probably still recommend a smaller optic to ensure you don’t affect your chances at closer ranges. With the professional season still some way off, it’s not clear which AR will be the pick of most. Early signs keep the STG44 in the running though, with Octane amongst those finding it powerful and viable in a plethora of situations. His opinion – and this loadout – are both to be trusted.

LA Thieves “look sloppy” | CDL Reverse Sweep Review Show – Dexerto
LA Thieves “look sloppy” | CDL Reverse Sweep Review Show Dexerto With Call of Duty League’s Stage 5 now past the halfway point before the final Major, join our Reverse Sweep crew of Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker & Katie Bedford as they recap all the biggest results. Week 2 of Stage 5 has come and gone as the Minnesota Home Series is now in the books. For some teams, it was another disappointing week with lackluster results. But for others, it was finally a chance to reach new heights. OpTic Chicago secured a massive series win over Atlanta FaZe. LA Thieves struggled against Paris underdogs. All the while, Florida Mutineers continue to stake their claim ahead of Champs. To break down all the biggest wins and losses from the week, join our Reverse Sweep crew as they dive into the juiciest storylines. Florida Mutineers upset over Dallas Empire Currently tied at the top of Group B, the Mutineers advanced to a 3-0 record in Stage 5 with a huge win over Dallas Empire. While it was a solid performance, is this victory enough to place them among the league’s very best teams? “In that series, the games were very close,” Enable said, not quite ready to jump the gun on Florida’s potential. “Empire just looked a little shaky.” “Honestly, they’re a really good team with a lot of talent,” Pacman added. “These guys can always beat anyone but that does not mean I up their stock. While Florida is a good team, I don’t see this as a huge upswing for them.” With a showdown against Toronto Ultra just days away, questions will finally be answered as Group B locks in its first seed for the Major. Are the LA Thieves in another slump? Despite a fairly close series against Atlanta FaZe, it was another unfortunate week for the LA Thieves. Paris Legion came out swinging and took them down with a 3-1 map count. Ultimately, “Paris should be a free win” at this point in the year, Enable stressed. For LA Thieves to go out and lose, it shows they’re still making “the same mistakes. They’re not as consistent as they need to be right now.” “This is such a bad loss for their confidence,” Pacman agreed. Another “embarrassing loss” could do more damage in the long run. Certainly the last thing they need going into Champs. New York Subliners now “consistently lackluster” Clay confirms that this move isn’t intended to be permanent. Mental health is critical and everyone should be glad he’s taking steps to recharge 💙💛 pic.twitter.com/fTsqsp5Uwp — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 20, 2021 With Clayster now off the starting lineup for the final week of Stage 5, things aren’t looking all too hot for NYSL moving forward. But will the squad be able to rebound in time? “They’re just in a slump right now,” as Enable called it. But it couldn’t have happened at a “worse time” with Champs fast approaching. “It could get scary if they don’t fix it soon.” A little more optimistic, Pacman is confident they can “bounce back.” The biggest factor is ensuring Clay returns with the “right mentality.” OpTic Chicago finally coming into form? No win this week was bigger than OpTic’s triumph in Game 5 over FaZe. The Green Wall finally overcame the hurdle and closed out a nail-biting Round 11 against the league’s top squad. “This win is massive,” Pacman stressed. Beyond the scoreline itself, OpTic’s confidence should now be through the roof. “Now you know you can beat the best team in the game. They’re looking really good.” On the same page, Enable agreed that this was a huge win “for OpTic’s confidence. Having that mentality that you can beat a team is all you need sometimes. I wish it was a little more dominant but they looked phenomenal.” Best moments of the Minnesota Home Series As for the biggest highlights of Week 2, Enable couldn’t pick anything other than OpTic’s Game 5 against FaZe. Specifically, it was “Envoy making plays” that really stood out. “[He] basically had control the whole game and clutched up the whole series.” Meanwhile, Pacman wanted to highlight last year’s MVP instead. “Shotzzy singlehandedly broke ROKKR’s setups” in their series. As a result, “he’s probably the single most difficult kill in the game.” MVPs of the Minnesota Home Series Looking to the future 👀@Enable would love to see @RoyalRavens build a roster with @AstrosInMyAfro and @PaulEhx_.#CDL2021 Biggest Mover | Presented by @KontrolFreek. pic.twitter.com/TsgOyDfdPO — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 20, 2021 For this week’s MVP award, Pacman put some respect on Afro’s name after another solid outing for the Royal Ravens. “This kid’s been putting on,” he said. “If anyone deserves a spot in the future, it’s him. He’s surprising me with how talented he is, he’s a beast.” “I have to go with Skyz from Mutineers,” Enable chimed in. “As a whole in Stage 5, he has the highest KD with a whopping 1.4. He’s helping lead this team to a potential number one spot in their group.” Last but not least, Katie threw Envoy’s name into the hat due to “the pivotal plays” that secured OpTic’s win over FaZe. Least valuable players of the Minnesota Home Series On the opposite side, SlasheR stood out to Pacman as the LVP this week. “That was the worst performance I’ve seen in a while from a top player. He really s*** the bed. He has to play better.” From one disappointing loss to another, Enable highlighted New York as his overall LVP. “They look really bad,” he said. In order to turn things around, he’s banking on Clayster returning and stepping up to “be that leader.”

LA Thieves’ Kenny could already be the best Main AR in the CDL – Dexerto
LA Thieves’ Kenny could already be the best Main AR in the CDL Call of Duty LeagueThe LA Thieves bounced back in the first week of CDL Stage 3 and the Reverse Sweep crew are ready to see more. During the Paris Legion Home Series, they believe Kenny can establish himself as the best Main AR in the league. When the Thieves benched Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat for Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan on April 5th, fans were concerned. With Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams shifting over to the “Main AR” role, debate over positionless Call of Duty spread through Twitter like wildfire. Now, those concerns have been quieted by a Stage 3, Week 1 performance in which the Thieves beat the Seattle Surge 3-2 and the London Royal Ravens 3-1. Following that return to form, Reverse Sweep’s Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, and Katie Bedford are beginning to believe Kenny could be the top Main AR in the CDL. This week, though, LA faces an entirely different test: Atlanta FaZe and OpTic Chicago. While the Surge and Royal Ravens have a combined eight wins, FaZe and OpTic have a combined 26 with just 10 losses. This is when Kenny and the Thieves can establish themselves as true contenders. As Enable explains, no test of Kenny’s new role could be better than OpTic and FaZe: “This is going to be a big indicator for Ken — he’s going up against FormaL and Arcitys in the Main AR battle. I think, right now, he could easily be better than both of them at the Main AR role, but this is a team game.” And Pacman seems to agree, noting that Kenny has the talent to become the best in the world with an AR in his hands: “I do feel like there’s definitely a world where he’s the best of them. Kenny is gross, so he could easily be the best Main AR.” For both analysts, though, the Paris Legion Home Series is a clear test of the Thieves’ ceiling. Against the Royal Ravens, Kenny posted a monstrous 1.67 K/D (kill-death ratio). But CoD is a team game and the cohesion of the unit is a pivotal factor. If Kenny is going to be the best Main AR in the league, Enable argues that unproven starters Drazah and Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez need to step up. As the former pro explains, “you want to be able to see them be able to perform and outduel the best players in the game — if LA Thieves want to be a contender and have a real shot at winning a Major.” Read more: Can OpTic Chicago finally win championships? – Should LA take down OpTic and/or FaZe, they will not only cement Kenny as a top Main AR in professional CoD; they will also cement themselves as championship contenders.

LA Thieves officially confirm Temp as 4th Call of Duty League starter – Dexerto
LA Thieves officially confirm Temp as 4th Call of Duty League starter Call of Duty League / LA ThievesAfter an accidental leak from Los Angeles Thieves general manager Muddawg, the Thieves have officially confirmed that Temp will be on their roster for the upcoming Call of Duty League season. This likely ensures that he will be their highly anticipated fourth starter. OpTic Gaming returned to Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez’s hands in early October 2020. Then, within the month, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s 100 Thieves made a return to competitive Call of Duty by acquiring OGLA’s vacated Los Angeles spot. Now, after weeks of speculation, it seems that the full starting lineup for the new Thieves team is confirmed. Just days ago, YouTuber and influencer, Mike Majlak seemed to leak that Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan would be confirmed as the Thieves’ head coach for the upcoming CDL season during a vlog at the 100T compound. Then, in Kaplan’s announcement video, Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders appeared to have leaked the team’s final starter. While 100T’s massive fanbase already knew the team’s three starters and substitute, this new leak finally confirmed what many had speculated about based on scrimmages. And, just a day later, the leak got (somewhat) validated by Nadeshot and Muddawg themselves. With the original leak, while discussing JKap’s fit as head coach given his experience as a reputable veteran in the scene, Muddawg casually mentioned some of the team’s more prominent personalities. In doing so, he referenced one player who hadn’t yet been officially announced: Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda. “Obviously we have some strong personalities on the team. With Temp and with SlasheR, especially. Those are two guys who will listen to you and that’s something that we need.” Read more: LA Thieves announce JKap as head coach – In a video the day after, Nadeshot and Muddawg indicated they had another announcement they forgot to make. By the end, it’s clear that Temp is the newest member of the black-and-red Thieves team. Temp is as strong a personality as any in the CoD scene, although the announcement video may try to downplay that passion by seeming to forget about their new acquisition. While he has yet to be confirmed as the starter, most are expecting him to be based on recent scrims. That leaves the LA Thieves roster as follows: Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat (Starter) – Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams (Starter) – Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda (Starter) – Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly (Starter) – Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan (Substitute) – Following an up-and-down season with the New York Subliners, Temp is an interesting candidate for a redemption arc with the LA Thieves in 2021. A yearlong starter, New York opted to let him go and, instead, bring in a more veteran presence in James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks. Read more: Nadeshot’s thoughts on LA Thieves 4th player – Like Temp’s drive toward former flashes of glory, fans will hope that the entire roster can return to excellence with a return to Treyarch in Black Ops Cold War and improve upon last year’s 10-17 record.

LA Thieves CDL star Octane announces Call of Duty retirement – Dexerto
LA Thieves CDL star Octane announces Call of Duty retirement Call of Duty LeagueSam ‘Octane’ Larew, multiple-time Call of Duty champion and 2022 world champion, has officially called it a day on his playing career, announcing his retirement following the culmination of the 2023 season. Octane has been commonly regarded as one of the greatest assault rifle players in Call of Duty history, once one of the steadiest shots in the league before also becoming a vocal and efficient leader, taking his LA Thieves side to a world championship victory in Vanguard in August 2022. In the most recent Modern Warfare II season, he put in stellar performances, including a final victory at Major 4, ending the season regarded as one of the top three ARs of the year alongside Toronto Ultra star Thomas ‘Scrappy’ Ernst and Atlanta FaZe’s McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel. LA Thieves star Octane announces CDL retirement LA Thieves had a rough end to their season, placing 5-6th at Major 5 and dead last at Champs, failing to live up to the team’s expectations from fans. Octane cited wanting some more time with his fiancé as one of the biggest reasons he’s decided to move on, and he claimed that being an esports athlete requires that job to be “all you are”. He’s decided it’s time to retire with a tearful announcement and has confirmed that he has no plans to return to the league. This now leaves LA Thieves in a somewhat precarious position for the 2023/24 Call of Duty League season, on the hunt for a top-tier AR that can help replicate the success Octane has brought to the organization, though players that can match his abilities are very few and far between. Octane ranks as the 11th highest earner in the CDL at the time of his retirement, having made almost $900,000 throughout his career, just behind his teammate Kenny in 10th. The near-10-year veteran of the pro league will now turn his attention to focus on content by joining 100 Thieves as a creator, following in similar footsteps to fellow stalwarts Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni, both of whom hung up the sticks mid-season to pursue their streaming and content creation aspirations.

LA Thieves CDL 2021 preview: Pushing to escape OpTic’s shadow – Dexerto
LA Thieves CDL 2021 preview: Pushing to escape OpTic’s shadow Los Angeles ThievesFor the Los Angeles Thieves, their first year in the Call of Duty League is all about stealing the spotlight and proving themselves as an elite contender. But will this squad that largely struggled in 2020 actually be able to exceed expectations? As the new kids on the block, Nadeshot’s reentry into the world of competitive CoD comes with high expectations. No one quite put the scene on the map like the former captain of OpTic Gaming but this time, his success relies upon a completely new team. Throughout 2019, 100 Thieves put together one of the strongest lineups, taking out back to back event wins and a second-place finish at Champs. After a year on the sidelines, the organization is back and hoping to replicate that success in the CDL. With two of their original players back again and some familiar faces joining them, the Thieves could burst onto the scene as a top contender. But if the newly formed lineup can’t gel early on, it could be an uphill struggle all year for the fresh squad. LA Thieves CDL 2021 roster Wiping the slate clean with the LA Thieves While the focus is on the new brand entering the league, 2021 means more than that to the players involved. SlasheR, Kenny, and TJHaLy are all coming off a lackluster year under the now-defunct OpTic Gaming Los Angeles banners. Aligning with the LA Thieves is their chance to right their wrongs and remind everyone of their talent. Their highest placement throughout the year was a top-two finish in Week 7. Though a majority of their appearances left them at the very bottom of the standings in 2020. Internal issues, role swaps, roster shuffles, and everything in between contributed to this messy year. Now, these players are able to start from scratch with everything they need. It’s a brand new title, they have a supportive organization backing them, and they have Temp by their side to help steer things in the right direction. On paper, this team should be a clearcut recipe for success. These players should be able to prove that 2020 was an outlier. History of individual success Kenny was the breakout star of 2018. He emerged as the hottest prospect under Team Kaliber, winning multiple events against all expectations. SlasheR is a veteran of the scene, having competed at the very highest levels for as long as anyone. He knows what it takes to help guide a championship-tier team, having secured his first ring in 2016. TJHaLy had an incredible stretch from WWII through to Black Ops 4. Throughout these two titles alone he secured four major event wins and had impressive showings at almost every other event with Rise Nation and OpTic Gaming. Meanwhile, Temp made a name for himself in Advanced Warfare as one of the hottest up and comers. While his sole event win came recently in Week 11 of the inaugural CDL season, he’s been a force for a number of years now. Individually, the promise of this stacked lineup is there. It’s just a matter of getting everyone onto the same page and realizing that full potential. Will they able to steal the show in 2021? While three of the four players are familiar with one another, the team still needs to click in an entirely new title. Their first showcase in the Kickoff Classic against OpTic Chicago didn’t exactly highlight their strengths. “Losing to OpTic is pretty much the worst thing that could happen,” Nadeshot said in a February 10 video. A complete shutout saw the Thieves fumbling in their first official series together. “We forgot what we needed to be doing,” Kenny explained. They were slow on rotations in Hardpoint, unable to get anything going in Control, and they were simply outstruck in the SnD. But this first showing doesn’t “tell the whole story,” according to Nadeshot. Similar to the likes of Atlanta FaZe who also lost their Kickoff game, it’s proven to be a great wake up call for the squad. If they can turn things around from this point forward and come out firing on all cylinders, LA Thieves “should be the best team in the game,” according to TJHaLy. We won’t have to wait long to see them in their first proper match for 2021 either. The LA Thieves are kicking off the new season on February 11 with a showdown against the Minnesota ROKKR.

Enable & Pacman: Why LA Thieves’ blockbuster trade with Mutineers could save CDL season – Dexerto
Enable & Pacman: Why LA Thieves’ blockbuster trade with Mutineers could save CDL season Twitter, @LAThieves, @MutineersFollowing the Los Angeles Thieves’ continued struggles in the Call of Duty League, the Reverse Sweep crew broke down why the Thieves need to consider blowing up the core trio in a blockbuster CDL trade. Since February 27, the LA Thieves are 2-6 with their only two wins coming against the bottom-dwelling Toronto Ultra. (And that second win against the Ultra was a difficult 3-2.) In that time span, the Thieves benched Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda for Challengers call-up Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez, but that hasn’t seemed to be enough of a change. As Reverse Sweep’s Katie Bedford summarizes the situation, the “Thieves are a**.” And the show’s other hosts, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt and Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker seem to be in agreement, saying it’s time to take a hard look at the core trio. A highly exalted core, Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, could be nearing its end. Refusing to blame Venom for failing to turn around a seemingly broken situation, Pacman addresses the issue directly: “They need to change the core. The core doesn’t work.” At this point, the issue isn’t limited to just a rough stretch of play in March. As Enable explains, “they were a part of OpTic last year, that wasn’t good. They were the core three and now it’s happening again … it comes down on them.” All renowned pro players with experience dating back to at least 2015, this core trio was expected to help a dynamic OpTic Gaming Los Angeles team in 2020. That team flopped to a 10-17 record, but expectations stayed high for the CDL’s 2021 season following a 100 Thieves rebrand. Noting that all the excuses are out of the window now that the team is playing a 4v4 CoD and located in Texas, Pacman suggests that a trade might be the only thing left: “You need to figure out a way to … at least get rid of one of them, if it was me I would try to do more.” Discussing that the stock of the Thieves core may be lower than it was before, the Reverse Sweep gang then dives into some interesting options for trades. The most captivating roster move? SlasheR for the Florida Mutineers’ Joseph ‘Owakening’ Conley. While unsure that the Mutineers would even do that trade, despite SlasheR’s championship pedigree, the crew agreed that it’s the type of move that deserves an attempt. If the Thieves core trio can’t turn things around fast, then maybe trading one of their core trio is the only way to salvage this season.

LA Thieves can fix their CDL season with one change – Dexerto
LA Thieves can fix their CDL season with one change LA Thieves are brimming with talent, but they failed to meet the expectations of many during CDL’s Stage 1. Katie Bedford, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt & Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker discuss the one change that could unlock their full potential on Reverse Sweep. While the Thieves are undoubtedly talented and able to hold their own, Pacman believes that “they kind of suck for what they should be, and you’re not gonna look at their roster and tell me that 5th/6ths acceptable…” This is exemplified by their quick 3-0 loss to LA Guerrillas at the Major. For Enable, this just goes back to the fundamentals of the team. “There are times when they have the complete advantage in the scenario and they throw their lives away… When you watch LA Thieves, 30% of the time, they make the smart play, but the other 70%, they’re challenging off headies, pushing where they could just be playing a corner.” The issue seems to stem from the team starting off quickly, but losing their way towards the end of a match and slipping off of their game plan. When it comes down to the wire, though, the one change the team needs to make is to come around to Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat’s style of play. Austin has an insatiable desire to win and will do what it takes to get there, reacting accordingly to what’s around him — and the rest of the team needs to be on the same page. LA Thieves bench Temp, sign rookie Venom to CDL roster – Dexerto
LA Thieves bench Temp, sign rookie Venom to CDL roster LA ThievesThe Los Angeles Thieves have made a roster change for Stage 2 of the Call of Duty League season, benching veteran Donny ‘Temp’ Laroda for rookie and former Challengers player Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez. The news was made official on March 22 in a video that LA Thieves posted on Twitter, in which General Manager Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders and head coach Jordan ‘JKap’ explained the reason for the change. According to the announcement, Venom will be slotted into the starting lineup immediately in place of Temp for Week 2 of Stage 2. Thieves just completed Week 1 (Toronto Home Series) with a 1-1 record, getting reverse swept by New York Subliners in the final match of the week. “Heading into Stage 2, we’re going to be inserting Venom into the lineup,” Muddawg said. “Venom is a top rookie prospect, he started off the game with four straight victories in Challengers with WestR. He’s an aggressive sub but he’s really good at playing his life, and we’re hoping this change will be a catalyst to help us implement some of the changes we talk about so frequently.” LA Thieves CDL Stage 2 starting lineup: Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Williams – Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat – Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly – Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez – LA Thieves roster update: Welcome @Vxnxm to the LA Thieves starting roster. #LAThieves pic.twitter.com/s4uhO1i6zx — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) March 22, 2021 This move lands Temp on the bench just mere months after starting the LA Thieves chapter of his career. After a decent season with Subliners last year, Temp was recruited to be part of Thieves’ first-ever CDL roster. However, his form has taken a noticeable dip over the past few weeks, most notably during the Stage 1 Major and the first week of Stage 2. “We looked very good at times so far this year, but not the level we want to be,” JKap said. “It’s best to be proactive and make a move, and that’s what we’re doing. Hopefully, we see a turnaround from the boys.” Thieves looked set for a successful start to their CDL journey when they went 4-0 to open Stage 1. However, a final-day loss to Dallas Empire lost them the group, and in the Stage 1 Major, they were stunningly upset by cross-town rivals LA Guerrillas in the first round of the winners bracket. They ended up finishing the tournament tied with Guerrillas for top-six, but Stage 2 started with a shaky 3-2 win over the struggling Toronto Ultra and getting reverse-swept by Subliners, which appears to have been the final straw. During Stage 1, Temp was lowest on the team with a 0.98 K/D, including negative ratios in both Search & Destroy and Control. The numbers dropped even lower in Stage 2, as he finished the Toronto Home Series with a 0.86 K/D, including 0.76 in Hardpoint. Hours after the announcement, however, and Temp already found a new home. Dropping into the Challengers circuit, Temp has joined the WestR lineup in place of Venom. Watch now: Should Subliners gamble to make room for CoD’s next star? Venom will make his CDL debut for Thieves in Week 2 of Stage 2, which starts on March 25. LA Thieves play twice, against London Royal Ravens and Atlanta FaZe, so it will be a good opportunity for fans to see what the former Challengers star is all about. His success in the amateur circuit can’t be denied – winning the first four NA Challengers Cups and the NA Stage 1 Elite – but the competition can get a lot tougher in the big leagues, especially against the likes of FaZe. LA Thieves bench SlasheR ahead of $500K CDL Stage 2 Major – Dexerto
LA Thieves bench SlasheR ahead of $500K CDL Stage 2 Major LA ThievesThe Los Angeles Thieves have made a roster change ahead of the Call of Duty League’s Stage 2 Major, promoting substitute Drazah to the starting lineup in place of veteran leader SlasheR. Following their 4-0 start to the season, LA Thieves have been one of the worst teams in the league, going 1-4 in Stage 2 to finish last place in Group A and start the upcoming Major in the first round of the Losers Bracket. On April 5, the organization announced that they’ve opted to bench SlasheR in favor of Drazah for the $500,000 knockout tournament, which takes place April 7-11. “Drazah has been playing incredibly well in Challengers with multiple event wins under his belt this season,” they tweeted. “We’re excited to see him play on the big stage this week as we give SlasheR some time off.” LA Thieves starting lineup for CDL Stage 2 Major: Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Williams – Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly – Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez – Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan – Our starting roster for the Stage 2 Major will be:@Kuavo@TJHaLy@Vxnxm @Drazah_ Drazah has been playing incredibly well in Challengers with multiple event wins under his belt this season. We’re excited to see him play on the big stage this week as we give Slasher some time off.— LA Thieves (@LAThieves) April 5, 2021 At this point, it’s not yet clear what Thieves’ plans are for the long term. Their announcement does leave the door open for SlasheR to return for Stage 3 after his “time off,” but if Drazah performs well enough in his place, this move could end up being permanent. Drazah has yet to feature for LA Thieves this season; while he was a starter for OpTic Gaming Los Angeles for the latter half of 2020, he was relegated to the bench once the franchise was acquired by 100 Thieves. That said, he has had great success in the Challengers division this year, winning the eighth CDC Cup, first NA Open, and the Elite Stage 2 Playoffs. This is the latest in a series of roster changes Thieves have had to make this season. After a difficult start to Stage 2, they opted to bench Temp in place of the rookie Venom, who was signed from top Challengers side, WestR. Due to a medical emergency involving Kenny, Temp made a very brief return to the lineup for the final match of the Guerrillas Home Series – an 0-3 loss to their crosstown rivals LAG – but he’s been sent back to the bench for the Major. Now, they’ll be desperate for even the tiniest amount of improvement heading into the $500K event; their first match is on April 7 against Paris Legion, with the loser getting eliminated with zero prize money and CDL Points.

LA Thieves announce star-studded lineup for Call of Duty League 2022 – Dexerto
LA Thieves announce star-studded lineup for Call of Duty League 2022 Call of Duty League / MLGThe Call of Duty League’s Los Angeles Thieves have announced their formerly rumored lineup for CDL 2022. With a superstar homecoming, a former MVP candidate, and two mainstays — 100 Thieves looks to be well-represented in the new season. After a season filled with ups and downs, both in the standings and between their starting and bench lineups, the LA Thieves are taking shape for 2022. No team made more roster changes than 100T’s CDL squad this year and, despite making it into CDL Champs 2021, those moves proved futile as the team lost in the first round. But despite those shortcomings with star talent, fans appear reasonably excited about the new roster for 2022. It was already rumored that LAT would be moving forward with this lineup, adding two respected forces and keeping the year’s strongest two players — but this announcement puts all doubts to rest. LA Thieves announce Huke & SlasheR are returning as CDL starters – Dexerto
LA Thieves announce Huke & SlasheR are returning as CDL starters Twitter, @LAThievesThe LA Thieves have officially announced that both Huke and SlasheR will be returning to their starting CDL lineup, ahead of their Stage 4 Home Series and the Stage 4 Major. The Thieves have benched two Call of Duty superstars this season: Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat in April and Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland in May. Now, following a Huke tell-all YouTube video and the anticipation of LAN, both are making surprise returns to the starting lineup. SlasheR will be taking his former replacement, Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan’s spot in the lineup, despite the latter appearing to be a strong AR in the CDL. Considering the vet’s love for LAN, the move could not be coming at a better time — as the CDL will have its first LAN at the Stage 4 Major. Our #LAThieves starting roster as we move into the Stage 4 Major will be:@Kuavo@Huke@SlasheR_AL@TJHaLy Drazah and Venom will be moved to sub for this week. pic.twitter.com/IJ68RsfRVE — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) June 9, 2021 Huke will be replacing Carlos ‘Venom’ Hernandez, a highly touted rookie whose spot in the starting lineup felt untouchable. The move follows a candid video from Huke, who reflected on discomforts with his teams and adderall usage during 2020’s CDL Champs. This is yet another new lineup for the Thieves to test out this season and the first time this particular group will be seen. LA will face two strong teams during their Home Series: the Minnesota ROKKR and OpTic Chicago, providing a strong proving ground for the new lineup. LA Thieves Stage 4 starters Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly – Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland – Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams – Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat – It is assumed that Huke and TJ will run the SMGs, while Kenny and SlasheR run the ARs. If any news comes out surrounding further role swaps and roster changes, we will keep fans in the loop.

LA Thieves announce 2023/24 CDL roster with EU & NA stars – Dexerto
LA Thieves announce 2023/24 CDL roster with EU & NA stars LA Thieves/Call of Duty LeagueLA Thieves have officially announced their roster for the 2023/24 Call of Duty League season, featuring a mix of European and North American talent, after waving goodbye to their World Championship-winning team. With the culmination of the 2022/23 season, LA Thieves did not re-sign the quartet that won the organization its first World Championship ring. Sam ‘Octane’ Larew retired from competing, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams joined OpTic Texas, Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon joined Toronto Ultra, and Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan joined Atlanta FaZe. That left them with a complete rebuild to work on during the offseason as Modern Warfare 3 approaches, as coaches Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan and Shane ‘SHANEE’ McKerral assessed their options of who they could realistically bring to Los Angeles amid budget cuts not just for Thieves but across the league. LA Thieves announce 2023/24 CDL roster Now, the LA Thieves have finally announced their roster after weeks of speculation and anticipation from fans, bringing in the following players to help find success in the coming year: Daniel ‘Ghosty’ Rothe – Marcus ‘Afro’ Reid – Cameron ‘Cammy’ McKilligan – Joe ‘JoeDeceives’ Romero – This is the same team that Dexerto first reported back in late July, as Thieves sought to put together their squad following the formation of what has started to become known as the ‘Top 4’ teams in the CDL. OpTic Texas, Atlanta FaZe, New York Subliners, and Toronto Ultra were the first to make their moves, hoping to capitalize and bring in the best players to keep themselves on top. Thieves were not able to match the top teams when it came to recruiting big-name talent, but they’ve pulled together a high-ceiling team that they will be hoping can still challenge for championships. With Thieves having announced their squad, there are now just four teams left to reveal the stars they’ve signed. Rumors have been scarce around LA Guerrillas, Vegas Legion, and London Royal Ravens, though we have reported on the expected Seattle Surge roster earlier in the offseason. Be sure to keep up with all of our CDL rostermania news, leaks and rumors!
