  • Insane Warzone exploit somehow makes Juggernauts even more powerful – Dexerto

Insane Warzone exploit somehow makes Juggernauts even more powerful ActivisionAs though Juggernauts weren’t already enough of a problem in Warzone, a ridiculous new bug gives them a wild advantage that could outright ruin any given match. It’s no secret that Juggernauts have been an issue for quite some time in Warzone. Every time you get an alert that one has appeared in your lobby, you know it’s going to be an uphill battle. The near-impenetrable suits of armor take some hefty killstreaks to deal with, regular guns will rarely do the job. They can beam you down from afar with their minigun and it’s an almost guaranteed win unless strangers team-up. Despite weeks of dealing with their extreme power, Juggernaut’s have barely been addressed. While they’ve been removed as loot inside of vaults, they’re still fairly common. These devastating suits of armor were already enough of a challenge. However, a new bug is making them even stronger. You’re going to want to look out for this insane exploit until a new patch is deployed. Juggernaut’s will already have you on your toes if one appears in your lobby. Though now you’ll have even more of a reason to be cautious. If you hear the warning that a firesale event is about to kick off, you’re about to have a real problem on your hands. This random-chance event has paved the way for an absurd Juggernaut exploit. Items in the Buy Station are cheaper than ever, though one goodie is often free for each player as well. If you’re in a suit of armor, it turns out that one free goodie can be redeemed an unlimited number of times. In one example, Reddit user ‘TarleenG’ was able to secure well over a dozen self-revive kits in the blink of an eye. While only one can be used at a time, this obviously creates an unbalanced state of affairs. If Juggernauts can provide their full squad with self-rez, it saves funds for other powerful items. Not only that, but additional copies of the item will drop on the ground. Meaning you can always return to the Buy Station later to have an endless supply of free lives. The only plus side to this exploit is that it’s quite rare. To have a Juggernaut suit and then get a firesale event requires some crazy luck. Though it’s clearly possible and will clearly be frustrating when it happens. Treyarch is yet to respond to this particular issue. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when a fix comes through. Perhaps in the next major update as Black Ops Cold War’s arsenal transitions into Warzone on December 10.

  • Insane Warzone exploit glitches you into the Gulag with guns – Dexerto

Insane Warzone exploit glitches you into the Gulag with guns ActivisionWarzone’s Gulag fights are already hard enough, but one game-breaking glitch is making them even tougher. From the horrifically broken DMR loadout, bot lobby exploits, and the seemingly never-ending hacking problems, it certainly seems Warzone has been getting off to a rocky start this year. The Black Ops Cold War integration has done very little to ease players’ current concerns with the general health of the game. While Warzone has had its fair share of game-breaking bugs and notorious glitches, this new Gulag exploit is taking it to a whole new level. Gulag matches are already incredibly competitive and coming out of them alive is an art in itself. If the various aim-bots and wall hackers don’t end up smoking you in the Gulag, then squads using this glitch likely will. Warzone Gulag glitch explained The new Warzone Gulag glitch is incredibly easy to do and players are currently using this exploit to grab some easy kills. Of course, this has led to a lot of frustrations in the Warzone community, with many players voicing their concerns online. Twitter user @Sami_The_Yemeni was messing around with loadout drops when they ended up dropping into the Gulag with their loadout. The video then shows the player killing effortlessly kills their under-equipped opponents as they spawn into the arena. My friends were messing around with loadouts in #warzone and one of them glitched into the #gulag and was able to kill people in the gulag.#GulagGlitch @charlieINTEL @CODINT3L @CallofDuty @Activision @DexertoIntel pic.twitter.com/YURIynkqpE — Sami The Yemeni (@Sami_The_Yemeni) December 28, 2020 As you can see from the video above, recreating the glitch is incredibly easy to do. Once the glitch has been performed successfully, players can freely run around the outskirts of the Gulag and mount on the wall to mow down their unsuspecting victims. While enemy players and the gas can still kill those exploiting this glitch, it’s still a pretty shameful tactic and one players will be hoping for Activision to patch as quickly as possible.

  • Insane Warzone Crossbow exploit destroys choppers in one shot – Dexerto

Insane Warzone Crossbow exploit destroys choppers in one shot Activision / TreyarchA new Warzone’s crossbow bug has transformed the medieval weapon into an extremely deadly anti-aircraft launcher and players aren’t happy. Warzone Season 4 has certainly gotten off to a rough start and just like with previous Seasons, fans are discovering plenty of weird and whacky bugs and exploits. From map glitches breaking players’ aim to annoying exploits that enable squads to clip into building roofs, the popular BR title is always filled with game-breaking problems. However, the latest issue involves the game’s crossbow. This weapon is usually only picked as a troll weapon and sees very little play in Warzone’s wider meta. After all, its slow projectile speed and lackluster DPS makes it rather unwieldy. While it may struggle to outgun players, one savvy player has found that it makes an extremely deadly anti-aircraft weapon. Bizzare Crossbow exploit found in Warzone Season 4 The R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow was added to Warzone during the Season 2 update and, since then, it has seen very little play across Verdansk. However, a new exploit could quickly change that. “Not only can the R1 crossbow kill Helicopters in one shot, but It can also destroy friendly heli’s too,” says Demolitions75. During the clip uploaded to the official Call of Duty Reddit page, the player shows just how lethal the R1 Shadowhunter can be. After carefully leading their shots, Demolitions75 downs numerous enemy helicopters with relative ease. If that wasn’t terrifying enough, the exploit also works for downing friendly squad members who dare to take to the skies. According to the players, this exploit is likely a bug that involves the R1 bolt colliding with the helicopter and the game treating it as if the vehicle hit a non-world object. Interestingly, the exploit doesn’t work all the time. “From what I can tell, the heli has to be tilted slightly and moving full speed, says Demolitions75. “You [also] don’t get any credit for a kill or vehicle destruction. It is treated as if the pilot crashed and suicided.” It’s certainly a bizarre exploit and one that Raven Software will need to fix fast before more players begin to utilize it. For now, though, it’s best to avoid using helicopters if you wish to stave off a frustrating death.

  • Insane Warzone cheat allows hackers to move at super speed with unlimited dashes – Dexerto

Insane Warzone cheat allows hackers to move at super speed with unlimited dashes Treyarch/ActivisionA new Warzone cheat is giving hackers the ability to use unlimited dashes, making them almost impossible to kill or track down. Warzone Season 5 is well underway and players are enjoying all of the new content that arrived with the major update. Whether it’s the new EM2 AR or the deadly TEC-9 SMG, Season 5 has certainly given the community plenty of new guns to master. Despite this, a lot of content creators have made the jump from Warzone to Apex Legends in recent weeks due to the number of hackers running rampant in matches. While cheaters in the early days of Warzone just had aims bots, the third-party programs have now evolved and are seemingly capable of allowing the hackers to do anything. A new cheat has even started allowing players to reach super-speed and travel around the map with unlimited dashes, ruining the gameplay experience for their opponents. New Warzone hack gives players unlimited dashes A thread posted to the CODWarzone subreddit shows off a new kind of hack that players have never seen before. In the middle of a game, feenmush was looting a set of garages when they spotted an enemy player heading in their direction. In order to prepare for the fight, feenmush decided to reposition and grabbed a UAV on the way. However, before they could react, the opposing player had appeared behind them and killed them instantly. It was only on the killcam that feenmush realized the enemy player was using hacks. As you can see in the clip, the cheater is able to use an unlimited amount of dashes to dodge any bullets and reach their opponents in seconds. Unfortunately, this clip is just a reminder of how serious the hacking problem is getting in Warzone. With players claiming they’re unable to find a match without multiple cheaters, the devs are going to need to set out a plan of action soon. Despite this, there are some sharpshooters that have managed to find a counter to these pesky cheaters, but it isn’t exactly a method that everyone will be able to replicate. As showcased by Twitch streamer natarsha, if you’re aim is strong enough, even hackers won’t be able to escape. So there’s new speed hacking cheats… LOL pic.twitter.com/fuwOvwiubk — Nat 🧸 (@NatarshaAU) August 25, 2021 It’s clear that the third-party programs are getting more and more advanced as time goes on, so it’s hard to know what they’re going to be capable of in the near future. All the community can do is hope Raven Software has a solution alongside the major Vanguard update coming in November.

  • Insane Warzone breakdown reveals just how far missiles can travel – Dexerto

Insane Warzone breakdown reveals just how far missiles can travel Infinity WardIf you’ve ever been curious as to how far missiles can travel in Warzone, this handy breakdown reveals the absurd lengths that you can fire from. Long-distance shots are always an impressive feat in Warzone. Whether you’re controlling your bursts with an Assault Rifle or perfectly assessing bullet drop with a Sniper. It takes an expert aim to line things up and the same logic applies to explosives as well. Although they might not seem like the most effective secondary weapons in the game, Launchers can be surprisingly powerful. A single missile from afar can wipe out an unsuspecting squad if your shot is on point. But just how far can you truly fire from? If you’re looking to make the next viral clip or simply impress your squad with an absurd longshot, this breakdown from ‘DefendTheHouse’ is exactly what you need. The popular ‘mythbusting’ gamers started out by testing the classic RPG-7. This weapon isn’t exactly intended for long-distance impact like some of the others. It’s a free-firing Launcher meaning that it won’t be able to lock onto a UAV in the sky, for instance. As a result, it clocks in with the shortest reach of any Launcher at just 265 meters. Once the projectile hits that distance, it will instantly explode without needing to touch a surface. Next up was the Strela-P Launcher. This is another free-firing weapon but is capable of launching projectiles much faster than the RPG-7. After a few tests at a closer range, the duo put over 600 meters between them, a considerable jump from the RPG-7’s range. As long as you’re aiming more up than usual, this Launcher can shoot explosives ridiculously far. It reaches roughly 1000 meters before detonating. This means that you can technically shoot from the rooftop of Stadium and miraculously find a kill over at the Prison. PILA was the next Launcher put under the microscope and it worked to a similar effect from afar. This weapon is also capable of reaching an extreme distance of 1000 meters, but it does so much slower than the Strela-P Launcher. “It just moves really slowly and doesn’t seem to drop at all,” a tester explained. If you’re looking for impressive long-range kills, you have two solid options with their own pros and cons. The Strela-P Launcher will get to the target quicker, but you’ll need the perfect height prediction when firing. Meanwhile, the PILA Launcher is extremely slow but comes with near pinpoint accuracy. Long-range shots certainly won’t help win you a game anytime soon, but a 1000 meter team kill is sure to set the Warzone community ablaze.

  • Insane stats of first Modern Warfare player to hit 100,000 kills – Dexerto

Insane stats of first Modern Warfare player to hit 100,000 kills One dedicated Modern Warfare account, ‘P-Hami’, has remarkably become the first in the world to reach 100,000 kills in Infinity Ward’s latest Call of Duty installment, less than two months after the game’s release. Since Modern Warfare released on October 25, fans have been quick to criticize aspects of the game they want to see adjusted. Features fans want to see adjusted include footstep audio, three-lane maps and prestiging. While some fans have even stopped playing Infinity Ward’s latest CoD installment, some are grinding just as much as always. However, in a player-base of millions, one stands out in terms of enemies conquered. According to CoDTracker.gg, PS4 player ‘P-Hami’ has recently become the first player in the world to hit 100,000 kills in multiplayer. It comes just days after the first Apex Legends player to hit 100,000 kills was crowned. A closer look at the player’s stats reveal he has, at the time of writing, over 102,000 kills, at an average K/D ratio of 2.27. These kills have come in 3,270 matches, at a win percentage of 56.70%. Stunningly, P-Hami has nearly 19 days played, despite the fact that Modern Warfare came out just 51 days ago (at the time of writing). Having played 3,270 matches in this time, we calculate that Hami averages over 64 matches per day. This is assuming they have taken no prolonged breaks from playing. Most insane is the account’s playtime. As of December 15, Modern Warfare released approximately 1,250 hours ago – P-Hami has spent over 450 hours playing the game. It will be no surprise to Modern Warfare fans that Hami’s most used weapon is the MP5 SMG, with which they have over 13,000 kills. The MP5 is the most popular and versatile SMG in the game, currently used by professional players. Similarly, the player’s second most popular weapon is the M4A1, which is the assault rifle of choice for professional players. The two weapons combined account for nearly ¼ of Hami’s kills. Finally, their top killstreak is the standard UAV, which he has earned over 3,000 times. The most used lethal killstreak on the account is V-TOL Jet, with which over 8,000 enemies have been killed. The account may well be used by multiple players rather than just one, which would go some way to explain the incredible amount of time played. Regardless, it makes for interesting reading to see the statistics behind the number one account in the world for kills on Modern Warfare.

  • Insane SP-R Warzone TikTok loadout is a game changer – Dexerto

Insane SP-R Warzone TikTok loadout is a game changer ActivisionThe SP-R may not be as popular in Warzone as the Swiss K31 or Kar98k, but this TikTok loadout demonstrates just how powerful it can be. Warzone’s SP-R may no longer be in the game’s top 10 meta tier list, but this Marksman Rifle is capable of unleashing some truly dizzying damage. While the likes of the Kar98k and Swiss K31 may be the popular options for long-range secondaries, a viral TikTok loadout has demonstrated just how powerful the SP-R is in Season 6. Sniping has always been incredibly important in Warzone, especially if you’re looking to claim those all-important longshot kills. While the game’s meta changes with every new update, this SP-R loadout is still capable of delivering plenty of montage-worthy kills. SP-R Warzone TikTok loadout Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: SP-R 26” – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: Solozero SP-R 28mm – Magazine: .300 Norma Mag 5-R Mags – TCaptainX’s SP-R loadout is tailored around boosting the gun’s bullet velocity and damage range, making it hit incredibly hard no matter the distance. The Monolithic Suppressor, SP-R 26” barrel, and .300 Norma Mag 5-R Mags drastically increase the rifle’s damage range. Meanwhile, the added bullet velocity from the barrel and magazine also increases the SP-R’s bullet velocity, which eliminates any drastic bullet drop. Simply click on your target’s head and watch as they drop to the ground. If you struggle to lead shots at a distance and don’t want to use any of Warzone’s bulkier sniper rifles, then the SP-R is a great alternative. One well-placed headshot is enough to down a fully-armorer target – an area that is advantageous to any player looking to increase their lethality. Read More: How to fix frustrating Warzone FPS bug on PC – Aside from the incredibly fast bullet velocity, TCaptainX notes that the ADS speed of this rifle is only about 65ms slower than the Kar98k. This is largely down to the Tac Laser, which gives the weapon a -33ms ADS speed and increased aiming stability. Lastly, the Solozero SP-R 28mm optic provides the perfect magnification needed to snag those long-range headshots without obstructing your vision. If you’re after a non-meta secondary that you can rely on, then this SP-R loadout should be at the top of your list.

  • Insane ROKKR vs Surge series featured first draw in CDL history – Dexerto

Insane ROKKR vs Surge series featured first draw in CDL history The Minnesota ROKKR and Seattle Surge match at the Dallas Empire Home Series turned out to be an instant classic, featuring several close rounds and the first-ever tie in Call of Duty League history. Ties are very rare in competitive Call of Duty, and for good reason, because the only mode they can happen in is Domination, which only gets played once a series. On top of that, all of the stars have to align as both teams must somehow get the exact same amount of points when the clock expires. Well, that’s exactly what happened to the ROKKR and Surge, who were facing off in the Group B Losers Bracket on day two of the CDL Dallas tournament. What further raised the stakes was the fact that it was an elimination match, as both teams had lost their first series the previous day. Seattle being down 0-2 coming into the game three Domination on Gun Runner made things even more intense, as they had to win the map or face the earliest of exits. Things looked ominous for the Surge at the start, as they fell behind by over 20 points in the first half, but a massive comeback saw them take the lead late. However, the ROKKR weren’t willing to let the game slip, as they staged a mini-comeback of their own that, when all said and done, resulted in the two teams having 155 points when the clock hit triple zeroes. [#CDL2020 Dallas | Group B] WE HAVE A DRAW!!!@SeattleSurge and @ROKKR tie the Game 3 Domination, so they will replay the map. Watch live ⬇️https://t.co/qaoWVLEi38 pic.twitter.com/rMfqieTHp6 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 11, 2020 Caster Clint ‘Maven’ Evans and Joe ‘Merk’ DeLuca’s reactions mirrored everyone else who was watching, as it was hard to imagine something like this coming to fruition. To give fans a perspective of how rare this is, this is the fifth event of the season and there had been 57 rounds of Dominations played coming into this match, and none of them had ended in a tie. There have been close calls, however, including one between OpTic Gaming and Florida Mutineers at CDL Atlanta that the game showed as a draw but, after an official ruling, Florida Mutineers were given the round win. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1231392957808480256 According to the official CDL rules, any round that ends in a draw has to be replayed, so the ROKKR and Surge did battle on Gun Runner Domination for the second time in a row, which Seattle won 170-152, staving off elimination for at least one more map. But wait, there’s more! Immediately following that map, the two played an equally-breathtaking Hardpoint on Hackney Yard, which ended 250-249 in favor of the boys in blue. The game featured just as many twists and turns as the last one, with Seattle seemingly choking the final rotation before somehow grasping victory from the jaws of defeat, as they were able to hold on for one final, crucial second that ended up being the difference. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249100366169300995 With how intense the third and fourth maps were, the final Search & Destroy in St. Petrograd turned out to be a lot more one-sided as Minnesota displayed their superiority in the game mode with a 6-2 win, clinching the series victory and eliminating Surge. It was another disappointing early exit for Seattle, who finished the event with 0 CDL points and now only have 20 on the season as their record stands at 2-7. Follow all of this weekend’s Call of Duty action via our CDL Dallas hub, which includes streams, brackets, scores, and more.

  • “Insane” one-shot sniper is Warzone’s best after Season 2 buff – Dexerto

“Insane” one-shot sniper is Warzone’s best after Season 2 buff ActivisionAnother one-shot sniper has finally been added to the mix in Season 2, and one Warzone expert believes it’s “insane” with a particular loadout. Whether it’s the flashy no-scopes with the Intervention or a camper hiding with the hard-hitting Barrett 50 Cal, sniping has always been a massive part of Call of Duty. That has been the case in Warzone too – especially if you want to harken all the way back to Verdansk and the Kar98 era. Things have changed over time, however, with snipers taking a little bit of a back seat to other weapons as the devs have toned down their ability to be so dominant. However, there have been changes the other way too. With the release of Modern Warfare 3, the devs brought one-shot sniping back to Warzone, but annoyed players with the lack of options. However, now that the Season 2 update is here, we have more options. Best XRK Stalker one-shot sniper loadout in Warzone Season 2 One of which, according to Warzone guru Metaphor, is “insane” because of how well it balances speed and power. The sniper in question? Well, that would be the XRK Stalker. “This thing is insane and, with this build, you can one-shot up to 75 meters. You don’t need explosive rounds or anything like that,” the YouTuber said. “This build is a pretty good balance of being pretty quick and having a long one-shot range.” Different muzzles can tweak the sniper’s one-shot range, but going with the Sonic Suppressor XL pushes it all the way up to 75 meters. That’s about as deadly as you can get with it right now. Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor XL – Barrel: Fission 60 Barrel – Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light – Ammunition: .50 Cal High Grain Rounds – Stock: No Stock – You will have to use Armory Unlocks to get the No Stock attachment for the sniper, but its worth it because of how much impact it has on the Stalker’s speed. Of course, while players have been desperate for more sniping options, if it becomes too overpowered then the devs will likely make a change. For now, though, have fun with it.

  • Insane Modern Warfare movement trick makes bunny hopping much easier – Dexerto

Insane Modern Warfare movement trick makes bunny hopping much easier Infinity WardModern Warfare players have figured out a new way of zooming through each and every map with a ridiculous bunny hopping movement trick. It couldn’t be simpler to learn, here’s what you need to know. [jwplayer I1TRQiOW] Getting from Point A to Point B as fast as possible has always been crucial in Call of Duty. Movement and positioning can often be just as important as aim. 2019’s Modern Warfare is no different as players slide-cancel their way to victory. Slide-cancelling was the most common movement trick throughout the competitive season. However, Modern Warfare players have continued to uncover new mechanics. The latest might be the most powerful yet as you can slide further than ever before in the blink of an eye. A fresh technique will have you throwing enemies for a loop in no time. Here’s how you can copy the trick for yourself and get bunny hopping across Modern Warfare. “If you get enough speed and bunny hop your landing, you can get a bounce,” Reddit user ‘deathdude01’ explained on Nov. 3. Momentum is key to execute this new trick, but with the right speed, you can give yourself a ridiculous boost. First, you’ll want to be on an elevated platform. Whether it’s some scaffolding or a nearby ledge, you need a good amount of height for this to work. Once you’re all set, you’ll need to sprint, jump off, then quickly slide and jump the second you hit the ground. Jumping right as the slide animation begins is key. If timed correctly, the slide will take your momentum into account and launch you further than it usually would. Not only is this a huge play to get around the map much faster, but it can also throw off the aim of any nearby foes. One second you’re in their line of sight, the next you’ve zoomed right beside them. Better yet, this trick can get you even further if you’re dropping onto a slanted surface. A few practice runs, and you could be lining up ridiculous bunny hops across every map in Modern Warfare. Given that Warzone runs on the same engine, expect this movement trick to work in the battle royale mode as well. Read More: Best Call of Duty campaigns ranked all-time – With slide-canceling and now super bunny hops to look out for, players will be getting around both Modern Warfare and Warzone faster than ever.

  • Insane Modern Warfare 2 clips show off “overpowered” aim assist – Dexerto

Insane Modern Warfare 2 clips show off “overpowered” aim assist ActivisionModern Warfare 2 players are outraged with the amount of aim assist controller players have during the ongoing open beta period. The debate surrounding aim assist in First Person Shooters is one that has continued for quite some time. For those who may not know, aim assist is a tool that helps compensate precise aiming for those using controllers instead of mouse and keyboard controls. Now, that debate has sparked once again thanks to the “overpowered” aim assist apparently present in the ongoing Modern Warfare 2 open beta. Clip shows crazy aim assist in Modern Warfare 2 A clip comes from content creator Maxiq on Twitter, who said, “I actually feel bad for [mouse and keyboard] players in COD.” The attached video shows Maxiq shooting at a far-off enemy before two more come rushing through the doorway in front of him. On the surface, it looked as though he effortlessly tracked both opponents to get a triple kill. However, Maxiq gave a bit of context to paint the bigger picture. “Context of this clip: I literally didn’t even move my thumbstick at all to switch between the targets. It was all aim assist…” The tweet went viral, gaining over 7,500 likes with hundreds of responses from Call of Duty fans and content creators replying with their own opinions on the clip. “It’s a lost cause bro. 99.9% of the player base doesn’t even understand the complexity of the issue and thinks we’re trying to get them to remove aim assist,” said content creator and pro player HusKerrs. It’s a lost cause bro. 99.9% of the player base doesn’t even understand the complexity of the issue and thinks we’re trying to get them to remove aim assist — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) September 23, 2022 On the other hand, plenty of players simply believed Maxiq was lying and actually manually aimed at the players in the clip. “Stop lying…of course you’ve moved a bit,” said one Twitter user, to which Maxiq replied, “Literally didn’t move at all, don’t see a reason why I would lie about this.” As the clip sparked a bit of controversy with players who claimed he actually aimed throughout it, Maxiq made a video titled “Call of Duty Aim Assist is OVERPOWERED here is why…” where he broke down what exactly happened in greater depth. Those interested in learning a bit more about aim assist in Modern Warfare 2 should give the video a look, but for now, it seems Infinity Ward may need to reevaluate just how strong aim assist is on controller.

  • Insane dual wield Diamatti loadout dominates Warzone & lets you keep Ghost – Dexerto

Insane dual wield Diamatti loadout dominates Warzone & lets you keep Ghost ActivisionAs Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta settles following Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War’s integration, a new loadout is emerging. For those who want added stealth, BOCW’s dual Diamatti pistols can replace the MAC-10 and complement the DMR perfectly. It took some days, but Verdansk’s best players have figured out that BOCW’s DMR 14 tactical rifle is the best primary weapon to use alongside the MAC-10 submachine gun. Now, the dual wield Diamatti pistols are making some opt for Ghost in their first loadout. With the R9-0 Dragon’s Breath shotgun appearing to get nerfed, the MAC-10’s insane firing rate was quickly adopted as Warzone’s preferred secondary weapon. Shortly after, ‘GD_Booya’ made waves using the DMR, and lobbies soon became flooded with the rifle, which is devastating when in the right hands. The .357 Snake Shot Akimbo pistols were prevalent on Verdansk until their nerf in May, but their spiritual successor, the dual Diamattis, has arrived. Deadly enough at close range to be viable, players are forsaking Overkill and surprising enemies with these Cold War burst pistols. The best dual Diamatti loadout for Warzone This Diamatti class is already making its rounds among the best players in Warzone and getting spammed on Twitch chat for those who haven’t tried it out yet. While guys like Swagg and Repullze have prioritized this version, another high-performing player, Metaphor, prefers the 24-round Speed Mag. Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 7.2″ Task Force – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight – Stock: Dual Wield – Ammunition: Salvo 30 Rnd Fast Mag – Regardless of which Ammunition you choose, the dual Diamattis are lethal when enemies are within its close-quarters range. Read more: Why the DMR is Warzone’s most broken gun – Much like the Akimbo Snake Shots, you need to be incredibly up close and personal to maximize value, but the speed boost from pistols can make that easy to do. As seen in Swagg’s clip of him rocking the Diamattis, they enable you to move very fluidly and the extended mag gives you enough shots to handle multiple opponents in quick succession. That added speed lets him surprise people and, by the end of the fight, even himself. Read more: Best Mac-10 Warzone loadout – Since the DMR is so overpowered right now, you can pair it with the dual Diamattis for a dangerous Ghost class in the early game. Then, once a second loadout becomes available, you can swap out the pistols for a Ghost MAC-10 loadout if you want a bigger mag and better range. For the other two Perks, you can maximize your mobility by running Double Time and Amped.

  • Insane Call of Duty Mobile bundle turns your pet cat into an assault rifle – Dexerto

Insane Call of Duty Mobile bundle turns your pet cat into an assault rifle ActivisionAn insane Call of Duty Mobile skin bundle is turning your cat into an assault rifle in the new Metal Claws Draw cosmetic pack. When it comes down to strange skins, the CoD devs are no strangers to pushing the limits. From adding Leatherface and Frank the Rabbit as Warzone Operators to incredibly colorful skins with wild animations in CoD Mobile, we’ve seen a fascinating mix in recent years. However, it seems the devs have a particular love for cats, with the surreal-looking Sgt. Pspsps cat skin coming out in the Whisker Tango bundle for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which divided the community. But, it seems they weren’t done there as they have now released a new bundle for CoD Mobile, Metal Claws Draw, with a plethora of cats included again. Just like Sgt Pspsps, you can now play as a cat operator, well, it’s technically a skin. Made for the operator Rodion, named Hunter’s Prowl, it sees him with a with a cat head instead of his normal human head. Making the bundle even more surreal is his skin for the Locus, the Metal Whisker, which according to the in-game cinematic promoting the skin, it apparently is a cat that turns into a rifle. Naturally, much of the community’s response was questioning the absurdity of it. “Man CoD Mobile is just off the rails these days,” said a player in response to the cinematic. “Yeah keep this s*** in Call of Duty Mobile, we don’t want this on console. Gracias,” said another player. “I love how unhinged CoD mobile is,” says another CoD fan. As for if we will ever see a feline version of Rodion in the mainline Modern Warfare or Warzone games, though it’s not impossible, as we have seen a few select items carry across CoD Mobile and the main entries.

  • Insane Black Ops Cold War AK-47 loadout somehow gives ‘negative recoil’ – Dexerto

Insane Black Ops Cold War AK-47 loadout somehow gives ‘negative recoil’ TreyarchIt turns out that you can actually go overboard when lowering recoil on weapons in Black Ops Cold War’s gunsmith, as new tests have revealed a ‘negative recoil’ AK-47 loadout. [jwplayer ElBaSB7r] One of the most important statistics to consider in any Call of Duty title is vertical recoil. When building your dream weapons in BOCW, reducing this stat is of the utmost importance for most weapons, especially when it comes to Assault Rifles. It keeps your aim steady and helps you hit more shots the lower it is. The ultimate goal is to have a weapon that can accurately tag enemies from mid to long ranges on any given map. However, you can surprisingly take things a little further than that. Recent BOCW experiments have revealed the true impact of various attachment combinations on the AK-47. With vertical recoil minimized in every way possible, you can actually equip a version of the gun with ‘negative recoil.’ ‘Negative recoil’ AK-47 Black Ops Cold War loadout Optic: Any – Muzzle: KGB Eliminator – Barrel: 18.2 VDV Reinforced – Body: Any – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Magazine: VDV 50 RND Fast Mag – Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap – Stock: Any – You won’t need all eight attachment slots to get the most out of the AK-47. All you’ll need is the five key features listed above and your weapon will be shooting straighter than ever. In fact, you might even need to relearn your aiming tendencies it’s so efficient. Rather than your gun rising up over time with longer sprays, this loadout seemingly remains locked onto its target without any kickback. Bullets won’t go flying left and right, the muzzle of the weapon won’t tilt towards the sky. It stays on point as you unload the clip. Without any manual input required, simply aiming down sights and shooting will give you an extremely accurate shot. Not only will bullets not travel above your reticle, but they’ll actually drop ever so slightly, giving off a negative recoil effect. From the range in the experiment, it could be the slightest amount of bullet drop leading the rounds under the reticle. It’s clear not a single shot went above the initial bullet. Therefore, you truly never have to worry about recoil with this particular setup. Whether you’re in a close-range gunfight or trying to gun down a foe across the map, you can relax knowing this AK-47 loadout is one of the most accurate weapons in the game. It may only be a matter of time until Treyarch deploys a few nerfs for various AR attachments, or even just for the AK-47 specifically. But for the time being, watch out for absolute beams hitting you across the map with this extraordinary setup.

  • Insane Black Ops 6 movement already buffed before launch – Dexerto

Insane Black Ops 6 movement already buffed before launch DexertoBlack Ops 6 beta’s first weekend was a huge success, with players loving its fast-paced gameplay, and Weekend 2 is building on that by making movement even quicker. Treyarch released patch notes detailing the changes for the beta’s second weekend, which included nerfs to the Jackal PDW and a buff for the C9 SMG. However, the most impactful changes were the huge range of movement boosts given to the majority of the game’s guns. These adjustments included improvements to key stats like movement speed, ADS movement speed, crouch speed, and even sprint speed. Furthermore, weapon swap speeds were increased across the board by 50 ms to make switching guns more fluid. If this somehow still feels sluggish, you can try Fast Hands, a classic Call of Duty perk that makes its debut in the beta this weekend. These buffs were almost universal for every weapon class in the game, with the only exception being sniper rifles, which received a slight nerf to crouch speed. Otherwise, every other gun got faster and more mobile, making Omnimovement an even more powerful tool. Here’s all of the movement changes introduced for Weekend 2 of the Black Ops 6 beta: Assault Rifles ADS Crouch Speed increased from 1.75m/s -> 1.88m/s – Move Speed increased from 4.14m/s -> 4.29m/s – ADS Move Speed increased from 3.07m/s -> 3.23m/s – – SMGs Crouch Speed increased from 2.31m/s -> 2.77m/s – – Shotguns ADS Crouch Speed increased from 1.63m/s -> 1.75m/s – Move Speed increased from 4.14m/s -> 4.29m/s – ADS Move Speed increased from 3.07m/s -> 3.23m/s – – LMGs ADS Crouch Speed increased from 1.14m/s -> 1.3m/s – Move Speed increased from 3.71m/s -> 3.86m/s – ADS Move Speed increased from 2.31m/s -> 2.46m/s – – Marksman Rifles Crouch Speed increased from 2.41m/s -> 2.49m/s – ADS Crouch Speed increased from 1.37m/s -> 1.55m/s – Move Speed increased from 3.76m/s -> 3.99m/s – ADS Move Speed increased from 2.9m/s -> 3m/s – – Sniper Rifles Crouch Speed decreased from 2.41m/s -> 2.31m/s – – Pistols Crouch Speed decreased from 2.9m/s -> 2.84m/s – ADS Crouch Speed increased from 1.88m/s -> 2.24m/s – Move Speed increased from 4.47m/s -> 4.52m/s – ADS Move Speed decreased from 3.94m/s -> 3.81m/s – – Launchers Crouch Speed decreased from 2.44m/s -> 2.18m/s – – Melee Crouch Speed increased from 2.9m/s -> 2.95m/s – Jog Speed increased from 5.16m/s -> 5.31m/s – Sprint Speed increased from 6.93m/s -> 7.16m/s – Super Sprint Speed (Tac Sprint) increased from 8.41m/s -> 8.66m/s – Move Speed increased from 4.47m/s -> 4.62 – – Treyarch stated in the blog that they are “mindful of speeding the game up too much,” with plans in place to “monitor and assess game data,” meaning more changes may follow before Black Ops 6’s launch on October 25. If you want to get involved before then, Weekend 2 is live from September 6 – September 9 and open to everyone, regardless of whether you pre-ordered the game or not. • Inhuman Warzone clip shows why Symfuhny is always accused of cheating – Dexerto

Inhuman Warzone clip shows why Symfuhny is always accused of cheating Twitter, @Symfuhny / ActivisionOf all Warzone players, few are accused of cheating as much as Symfuhny. And, in the wake of major hacking drama, the streamer proves why with an absurd clip that defies all logic. When you search Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier’s gamertag on the internet, you can’t avoid an assortment of accusations of, and investigations into, aimbot or wall-hacks by the renowned gamer. While his brief foray into the Rust craze was practically untouched by those concerns, his work in Call of Duty: Warzone is absolutely filled with speculation. Thus far, Sym is one of the top-10 highest earners in Warzone and has been a major fixture in tournament after tournament since the game’s release on March 2020. But if you Google him or simply peruse Reddit, Twitter and YouTube, seeing “hackusations” is unavoidable. Symfuhny even leans into these concerns, frequently trying to hit silly flicks and shots through walls. The streamer uses mouse and keyboard so many of his plays feel foreign to console players, specifically. Unsurprisingly, he took the recent Warzone cheating drama to fuel the fire a little more with an inhuman clip with the Kar98k. Yo @Tommey We can talk about this… pic.twitter.com/d1Ni7RJNlY— Symfuhny (@Symfuhny) January 22, 2021 No one is surprised by two quick downs with the FFAR, an AR that shreds in the close-to-medium ranges. But…a Kar98 quick-scope through a wall? It’s obvious why people think Sym must be subscribed to some sort of hacking services. As the longstanding competitive gamer’s fans — of which there are millions — will tell you, there’s no aimbot or ESP wall-hacks toggled. Instead, it’s all a phenomenon dubbed with a tongue-in-cheek term: “Sym.exe.” And this clip, noteworthy by itself, comes at the perfect time for spicy reactions — right at the end of a week filled with competitive Warzone hacking drama. During two of the most recent Warzone tournaments, former Dallas Empire player in the Call of Duty League, Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren, was tasked with investigating accused cheaters. Now, big streamers are getting in on the action. Ignoring the conclusions of those investigations, it appears that everyone is interested in a piece of the pie. While Sym lets Tommey know that they “can talk about this,” Rhys ‘Rated’ Price shyly confesses that he “can explain” his big-brain predictive kill. As Sym continually exemplifies, fair plays can often look suspicious. His weirdest, most inhuman clips can provide a cautionary tale against hacking accusations and show why formal processes need to be in place when cheating is truly suspected. While smaller streamers have more to prove, Sym and other pros like Rated have large sample sizes. That experience helps show that it’s unlikely they’ve resorted to cheating and more likely they’re simply lucking into these crazy plays.

  • Infinity Ward under fire after hiding changes in Modern Warfare patch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward under fire after hiding changes in Modern Warfare patch According to avid members of the Call of Duty community on Reddit, Infinity Ward has allegedly been obscuring certain information from the most recent Modern Warfare patch notes. While there has been no shortage of vocal frustration in the community of late, Call of Duty fans have now taken aim at Infinity Ward for supposedly hiding an abundance of information in the latest patch notes. From weapon tuning to entirely new additions, dozens of alterations have seemingly been neglected. Regardless of whether these adjustments are major or insignificant in the grand scheme of things, dedicated Modern Warfare players are up in arms over the lack of clarity from Infinity Ward. Collated in a December 4 post from Reddit user ‘FlylngFruitcake,’ an abundance of changes were highlighted that seem to have fallen through the cracks of the two most recent set of patch notes for Version 1.10 and Version 1.11 respectively. Some of the most significant oversights appear to stem from weapon adjustments that have gone unchecked. From an increase in recoil on the AK47 assault rifle to a reduction in damage for the MG34 light machine gun, there’s a number of seemingly major alterations that simply haven’t been addressed in recent patch notes. Additionally, many popular game modes have been updated with various maps being rotated into play without comment. Akrlov Peak has been added to Cyber Attack and Hardcore Domination, while St. Petrograd is now playable in Survival mode for instance. While Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the sheer number of supposed changes that have been implemented across the board, it’s worth bearing in mind that none of the outlined issues have been verified by the developers themselves. Take each adjustment with a grain of salt until official evidence is provided to support certain claims. Evidently outraged by the lack of explanation and clarity from the developers, Modern Warfare players have been quick to vocalize their frustrations at the state of the latest patch notes. “They only tell us what they want us to know, one of the worst examples of communication I’ve seen from a dev team yet,” Reddit user ‘kstokes2019’ expressed. Elaborating on how dedicated players had to come together in order to properly uncover every change featured in recent title updates, another Reddit user responded in bemusement. “The fact that the community has to pull together and come up with their own patch notes is absolutely asinine.” It bears repeating that none of the changes listed throughout the post have been verified and no official comment has been put forth by Infinity Ward just yet. While it might seem shocking that developers would obscure certain information from their patch notes, Infinity Ward wouldn’t be the first to do so. Epic Games was recently in hot water for making secret weapon adjustments under the hood. Similarly, a dedicated player was required to run individual tests in order to unearth the alterations.

  • Infinity Ward tease variant of Gunfight mode in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward tease variant of Gunfight mode in Modern Warfare Infinity WardInfinity Ward, developers of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have teased a respawn variant of Gunfight mode, amid the pre-release Alpha that players are able to get their hands on. Infinity Ward have been praised for their communications and transparency surrounding the Gunfight Alpha that was released on August 22. The Alpha is (for most players) the first opportunity to play Infinity Ward’s latest CoD installment and, as expected, they have a wealth of feedback for the developers. Infinity Ward have generally been very good at responding to this feedback and have confirmed they are working on a number of aspects of the game. However, on August 24, Infinity Ward Co-Design Director Joe Cecot replied to a fan’s enquiry as to the potential of altering one of Gunfight’s core mechanics. Gunfight is a 2v2 entirely based on the elimination of the enemy team in order to win the round, with the first team to win six rounds winning the match. One fan asked the question via Reddit: “Can you make a 2v2 respawn mode as well? Like a first to 20 type mode?” In response Joe Cecot simply wrote that “we (Infinity Ward) have some things”. It certainly seems like Infinity Ward are willing to vary the way Gunfight works, given the fact that one main complaint players have had is that the ‘one-life’ nature of Gunfight means rounds can end very quickly, and too much time is spent loading next rounds, or matches themselves. While nothing is promised, Infinity Ward seem to be keen to innovate aspects of the Call of Duty formula, by introducing new modes and removing expected features, like a mini-map as default. They also appear to be attentive to player feedback and willing to make changes depending on how players perceive certain features. These are habits that will be very welcome with the Call of Duty community, and we hope to see sustained throughout Modern Warfare’s life-cycle.

  • Infinity Ward tease new Warzone modes and loot changes for Season 3 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward tease new Warzone modes and loot changes for Season 3 ActivisionCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward have hinted at more changes coming to Warzone battle royale in Modern Warfare Season 3, including an overhaul to ground loot as well as some new modes On April 7, Infinity Ward rolled out new details on what’s to come in Season 3 for the battle royale component to Modern Warfare’s ecosystem, including both new content and changes. Several new modes and playlists will be introduced throughout the new season, but that’s not all – the developers plan on making some major adjustments to the default loot that can be found on the Verdansk map. New modes and playlists IW revealed that they plan on mixing up Warzone’s formula with more playlists for players to choose from, in addition to Solos, Trios, the brand new Quads, Plunder, and Blood Money that are all in the game already. These new modes, which fans can expect to be sprinkled throughout the weeks to come, will be themed around specific kinds of guns, so players will have to conform to the limited variety in order to survive. “During the season, expect to see more modes and playlists that change the loot pool to specific weapon types, and high action modes such as ‘Scopes and Scatter Guns’ (only sniper rifles & shotguns), in addition to other surprises,” the developers wrote. Ground loot overhaul Default items and weapons found on the floor and in chests are an integral part of Warzone, even with the fact that a lot of players opt to buy their own Loadout Drops once they have the requisite $8,500 in hand. In order to freshen things up, Infinity Ward will be tweaking what kind of gear will be available in Season 3, including the addition of silenced and non-silenced gun variants, and the introduction of “new weapons and blueprints in Supply Boxes and ground loot.” The idea is to inject variety into this aspect of the game and allow players to adopt various play-styles depending on what they come across while looting, including “that final ‘guns blazing’ shootout at the end” of matches. This update is expected to launch on Wednesday, April 8, at 11 PM PT (April 7) / 2 AM ET / 7 AM BST. For more information about everything else that’s included, make sure to check out our Modern Warfare Season 3 early patch notes. Written with contributions from Albert Petrosyan.

  • Infinity Ward tease new style of Operators coming soon to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward tease new style of Operators coming soon to Modern Warfare Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward have revealed new military-themed Operators will soon be released in Modern Warfare, after fans called for more variance and options on Reddit. Operators are unique characters in Modern Warfare that players can select to play as in multiplayer and Special Ops, each with their own backstory, nationality, character dialogue, and customization options. Unlike Specialists and Combat Rigs from recent Call of Duty titles, Operators are purely cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay in terms of abilities or game-changing traits. Split into two factions – Coalition and Allegiance – there are plenty of these characters to choose from, especially following the recent launch of Season 1. However, players aren’t content with what’s available. Recently, a fan posted a suggestion for a new Operator on Reddit – a picture of a Specialist Firearm Command officer from the Metropolitan Police Service in the United Kingdom. The comments and upvotes that the post received made it clear that a lot of players would be in favor of Infinity Ward adding more military-themed Operators in Modern Warfare since the game is a war simulator after all. Joel Emslie, Infinity Ward’s Art Director who goes by ‘ArtPeasant’ on social media, commented on the post and called it “awesome.” When someone suggested that IW implement such designs, Emslie replied “completely agree with that” and “there is work being done with new Operators that fit into tighter Milsim look.” The term ‘MilSim’ used by Emslie is an abbreviation of ‘military simulations,’ which is defined as “the activity that strives to realistically simulate the experience of armed conflict conducted by civilians for entertainment and mental health purposes.” These simulations are often referred to as ‘military operations,’ which feature operators who “gather in organized teams and must complete a mission in a paramilitary-style,” with a good example of this being paintballing. Read More: MW streamer mindblown by impossible grenade – Thus, when Emslie said they were working on more MilSim Operators, he means characters that resemble realistic military personnel that would normally be found in combat scenarios. At this point, it’s not clear exactly when these military-style Operators will be added in Modern Warfare. Season 1 is still in full swing, which means they could be released before the season ends, or Infinity Ward might save it to spice up the content drop for the next season.

  • Infinity Ward slam speculation about censoring Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward slam speculation about censoring Modern Warfare Infinity WardThe hype around Call of Duty’s gritty and realistic take on the modern battlefield, and reassured their audience that their focus hasn’t changed. There’s been speculation that Infinity Ward has been mulling over how intense they want their final product to be when it releases on October 25, which is making some fans a bit apprehensive about buying into the experience. Even though the idea of any kind of censorship in the game had been put to rest before, the studio made sure to double down on their stance following a mounting wave of rumors. What did they say? In a June 26 message to their audience, the Modern Warfare developers touched on the hearsay about possibly changing their game in any way as the studio gets closer to their end of year launch. “To be very clear,” Infinity Ward said in response to the swirling remarks about their game. “We’re making the exact game we want to make, and we can’t wait until October 25th.” Going by the little footage fans have been able to see, it looks like Modern Warfare is going to introduce to its players a more personal, surreal view of war not seen for a long time in the Call of Duty franchise. While this obviously means that game will have tight shooting mechanics and great environments to look at, it seems fans looking for a gripping story can rest assured knowing that the devs won’t be veering from their original concept. To be very clear, we’re making the exact game we want to make, and we can’t wait until October 25th. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) June 26, 2019 Modern Warfare’s director also responded to the claims In a previous report from Kotaku, there was an instance in which the studio seemed to be censoring some dialogue in their campaign because of its disturbing nature. Read more: Black Ops 4 devs “frustrated” with Activision pushing microtransactions and crunch at Treyarch – At the thought of it, fans instantly voiced their concerns about the possible changes, and Studio Narrative Director at Infinity Ward Taylor Kurosaki personally chimed in to quell their concerns, saying: “We never would. Those are rumors. Not true.” While audiences wait for the first sign of gameplay from the Modern Warfare crew, it looks like whatever they end up with will be undeterred by any ideas of censoring their game.

  • Infinity Ward finally restores Modern Warfare maps months after deleting them – Dexerto

Infinity Ward finally restores Modern Warfare maps months after deleting them ActivisionShortly after introducing three new maps to 2019’s Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward surprisingly removed two of the fresh additions without an explanation. Two months later and these maps have finally returned thanks to a new update. As has long been a tradition in the Call of Duty franchise, when a new annual release comes out, the previous title fades into the background. The latest Modern Warfare suffered a similar fate following the release of Black Ops Cold War, though a vocal player base didn’t want to let go so soon. After pleading with the developers for some new content, Infinity Ward finally delivered in 2021. On March 31, the classic CoD 4 map Killhouse was revamped and added into the game. Additionally, a new 6v6 map and a new Gunfight map were also added in through the surprising update as well. While the news came out of nowhere, the excitement was short-lived. Not long after adding this content into the game, the devs secretly removed two of the new maps on April 7. Months of silence followed before they were finally restored on June 30. The first of these unique locations is the Al-Raab Airbase. This regular multiplayer map is inspired by a location in the 2019 campaign. Available across typical 6v6 modes, the new addition is quite large in comparison to most Modern Warfare maps. Meanwhile, the next new battleground is designed for 2v2 combat only. Drainage is the name given to a fresh Gunfight map set outdoors in Urzikstan. Both of these maps were accessible in private lobbies at first, before they were pulled from the game. Two months later and both are now live in Modern Warfare thanks to a June 30 update. Despite Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage being removed temporarily, Killhouse was available the whole time, even boasting its own 24/7 playlist. After months of waiting, the maps now appear to be sticking in Modern Warfare for good. Though we’ll be sure to keep you updated here if they’re mysteriously taken down again in the near future.

  • Infinity Ward may have secretly buffed Modern Warfare’s Combat Knife – Dexerto

Infinity Ward may have secretly buffed Modern Warfare’s Combat Knife Infinity WardThe Combat Knife in both Modern Warfare and Warzone appears to have undergone a surprising change in a recent patch, though you may have completely missed it. Stealth buffs or nerfs are nothing new in the gaming industry, especially not in relation to Infinity Ward titles. The developers have even been called out in the past for creating an “unhealthy” Call of Duty by changing things under the hood and not informing the player base. Season 3’s major update alone, introduced more than five massive changes that weren’t addressed anywhere in the April 8 patch notes. It now turns out that the Combat Knife has also been the target of new adjustments, as a unique buff has just been discovered. Movement plays a large role in both Modern Warfare and Warzone as players look to get the jump on one another. Getting to a certain position first could be pivotal in winning the match or acquiring certain loot. Equipping either a sidearm or a combat knife in previous versions of the game was a surefire way to get a literal leg up. While holding these weapons, players gained a slight movement buff compared to holding heavier, primary weapons. While Combat Knives had the slight edge upon release, sidearms soon became the standard. Now, the latest changes under the hood have made the Combat Knife a must-have for speedy players once again. There’s no outright speed advantage when comparing the two, though a new adjustment ensures that those holding Combat Knives will sprint for twice as long, according to ‘Handler’ on YouTube. “With the Combat Knife you have four seconds of tactical sprint, and with the pistol you only have two seconds of tactical sprint,” he explained. After running some tests with both weapons on April 14, he came to the conclusion that the Combat Knife was a third of a second faster while tactical sprinting. While that may not seem like such a huge difference on paper, in practice it could be the difference between life and death, victory and defeat. There’s no telling why this specific change was excluded from the latest patch notes, but now you’re aware of the fact that the Combat Knife is elite once again. From RPG buffs, to perk changes, plenty of subtle tweaks were left off the public patch notes. Here’s a full rundown on every change we’ve noticed thus far.

  • Infinity Ward says CoD 2022 will be a “new generation” of Call of Duty – Dexerto

Infinity Ward says CoD 2022 will be a “new generation” of Call of Duty Activision/Infinity WardInfinity Ward has teased that CoD 2022 will be a “new generation” for Call of Duty amid rumors that they’ll be releasing a follow-up to 2019’s gritty Modern Warfare. Even though Call of Duty: Vanguard has only been out for a few months, there are plenty of Call of Duty fans who are already looking to what the next game will bring. In terms of what that’ll be, confirmed details are a bit sparse. There are a reported 11 studios working on the game, including both Infinity Ward and Treyarch, as it is set to be a follow-up to 2019’s Modern Warfare – aptly named, Modern Warfare 2. With the current version of Call of Duty: Warzone undergoing some pretty sizeable changes, Activision and Infinity Ward have already started talking about their plans for the next release, and it seems pretty exciting. Amid all the rumors about the next game, Activision shed some light on what is going on behind the scenes during their February 3rd earnings call. The Call of Duty publishers revealed that Infinity Ward is the lead studio for the next installment of the CoD franchise, and that they’ll also be working on a Warzone 2. As a response to that, the developers dropped a simple message on Twitter. “A new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon,” they said. “Stay frosty.” The latter is, of course, a nod to the Modern Warfare franchise, with stay frosty being an iconic line from the series. A new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon. Stay frosty. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) February 3, 2022 On top of that, Activision also noted that Infinity Ward are working on “the most ambitious plan in franchise history” that’ll have a “broadly appealing franchise setting.” All signs point towards an exciting revival of the Modern Warfare series, but we’ll know more as and when Infinity Ward starts dropping confirmation.

  • Infinity Ward reveals Warzone weapon tuning & bug fixes for next patch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveals Warzone weapon tuning & bug fixes for next patch Infinity Ward[jwplayer ytT6udlT]A week after Modern Warfare’s major Season 5 update, Infinity Ward has confirmed when the community can expect critical Warzone bug fixes to arrive, along with new weapon tuning to boot. Since the release of the massive Season 5 patch on August 5, a number of unique issues have been plaguing Verdansk. Whether it’s teleportation, invincibility, or the common ‘demon gun’ glitch, there’s been a lot bogging down the experience of late. While some bugs have been beneficial for various players, most of them are damaging the core gameplay experience. Leaving squads frustrated and unable to close out the win more often than not. Infinity Ward has been aware of these critical issues for quite some time now. They’ve been slowly figuring out the problems under the hood while players get stuck into the new Season 5 content. The community has also been waiting with bated breath for new weapon tuning. Now, a week out from the last update, developers have outlined when we can expect these fixes and weapon updates. Infinity Ward address critical Warzone bug fixes coming soon Perhaps the most prevalent bug in Season 5 is the bizarre texture glitch that can occur at random. It could be your own loadout or an enemy in the distance. For some reason almost anything in the game can be morphed into a ‘demonic’ form that takes up most of your screen. Fortunately, this issue has been on Infinity Ward’s radar for a few days now. Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams assured fans that this particular issue will be fixed very soon. “We’ve got two patches in the works that’ll fix a few bugs,” she said in an August 10 tweet. While insane-looking weapons won’t be resolved in the most immediate patch, the second update aims to fix a “graphical corruption issue.” Additionally, “the ‘Play Again’ option not working,” will also be addressed in this forthcoming patch. https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1293006579726348289 “I don’t have an ETA just yet,” Williams added. “But we’ll share more details when we’re all set.” So while no exact date is locked in, expect to see these problems resolved in the immediate future. Modern Warfare & Warzone weapon tuning on the way On top of these bug fixes, the CoD community has also been holding out for new balance updates. Each seasonal update typically brings new buffs and nerfs as certain weapons are rotated in and out of the spotlight. However, this kind of tuning was amiss from the Season 5 patch notes. Warzone and Modern Warfare players have been stuck in the same meta from Season 4. This is finally set to change according to Williams, indicating that one of the two upcoming patches will focus heavily on weapon tuning. The Communications Manager was tight-lipped on which weapons would be adjusted in the future update, though one small teaser was provided. A concerned player responded outlining how these weapon updates could come just days before the biggest competitive event of the year. $4.6 million is up for grabs at CDL Champs and players may have to get used to newly dominant weapons in a matter of days. Alleviating these concerns, however, she explained how the upcoming balance pass will be tuning weapons that the pros “don’t use.” Rather than nerfing the popular M4A1 Assault Rifle, for instance, this update could focus entirely on buffing less prominent multiplayer weapons. They might also be prioritizing guns that may be more favorable in Warzone, such as the Grau. https://twitter.com/ashtonisVULCAN/status/1293010397130153984 Some of the biggest issues in the game today will soon be left in the rearview mirror. Meanwhile, an accompanying balance update should help shake up the meta. Keep your eyes peeled over the coming days. Infinity Ward will be looking to implement these patches as soon as they’re ready.

  • Infinity Ward reveals upcoming plans for Modern Warfare Battle Chatter – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveals upcoming plans for Modern Warfare Battle Chatter A few major talking points have been the center of attention in the Call of Duty community since the launch of Modern Warfare and developers at Infinity Ward have issued a new comment on the current state of multiplayer. Released on October 25, Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare has been met with a great deal of praise but also a fair amount of criticism surrounding a few major topics. From professional players being critical of various map designs to recent controversy surrounding Dead Silence, Infinity Ward has been quick to implement changes and engage in discussions with the community. Based on recent comments from Modern Warfare developers, it appears as though a few major changes could be coming to the FPS title in the near future. Read more: 5 best Overkill classes in Modern Warfare – One of the most notable sources of frustration in the latest Call of Duty is that of ‘battle chatter.’ This term is given to the obnoxiously loud call-outs made by characters in the midst of combat. Regardless of whether you’re trying to play sneakily on a flank or overlooking an objective in a crucial 1v1, characters will yell at the top of their lungs to alert you of enemies nearby. Giving away your own position in the process. Infinity Ward multiplayer designer David Mickner commented on the controversial subject in a response to Call of Duty veteran and Dallas Empire starting member James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks. Asking for a setting to turn off battle chatter entirely, the pro explains how there are “numerous things that are uncompetitive about it, and we’ve always had the option in the past.” “We’ve had it auto-handled under MLG/CWL rules in the past so it was largely unnecessary,” the developer responded. “Good point though, I’ll look into adding it as an option.” *We’ve had it auto-handled under mlg/cwl rules in the past so it was largely unnecessary. It remains to be seen just how soon these drastic changes might be introduced, however it’s certainly relieving to know that these issues are a top priority.

  • Infinity Ward reveals new Warzone plans to combat cheaters – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveals new Warzone plans to combat cheaters Infinity WardWarzone and Modern Warfare will soon be combating cheaters in all new ways as Infinity Ward has revealed new plans for reporting and banning players. Cheaters have been running rampant in Warzone since its release on March 10. From exploits that allow players to break through the map, to blatant hackers with aimbots that ruin official tournaments. While pro players and content creators alike have vented their frustrations on the issue, IW is set to make a few drastic changes to combat these cheaters. Outlining plans to bolster the competitive integrity of both Warzone and Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward revealed a number of fixes on the way in an April 21 tweet. Beginning this week, players that have reported suspected cheaters in-game, “will receive confirmation when a player is banned.” This aims to further incentivize the reporting feature and keep players in the loop when their reports make a difference. Read more: Warzone player devises perfect way to combat rooftop campers Another new measure aims to pair cheaters with fellow cheaters in their own unique lobbies. This should see a swift reduction in the number of hackers that make it into general public lobbies. This week will also see the implementation of new security measures under the hood to keep cheaters at bay. “Increased resources across backend tech, studio, and enforcement teams” means that developers at Infinity Ward will be cracking down on hackers more than ever before. While it won’t be introduced this week alongside every other new feature, the post also outlined how the report-a-player feature will be fleshed out in the future. Moving forward, players will be able to report suspected cheaters directly from killcams and while spectating. If you feel as though you were unfairly sniped across the map, or gunned down by a clear aimbot, you’ll now be able to report them straight after your death. With over 50 million players jumping into the free to play battle royale title in its first month, it’s clear a reduction in cheating is a major focus for the developers. There’s no telling if these new measures will wipe them out for good, but your lobbies should be more balanced from here on out — fingers crossed!

  • Infinity Ward reveal what’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal what’s coming to Modern Warfare & Warzone this week ActivisionThis Modern Warfare update has gone live, you can check out all of the changes, new cosmetics bundles, and the full patch notes here. Infinity Ward have been drip-feeding content and making tweaks in Modern Warfare throughout the duration of Season 3. The last update saw the return of Shipment 24/7, as well as a temporary removal of helicopters in Warzone, due to an exploit. But with just under half of the season still left to go, what else do the developers have up their sleeve? Infinity Ward has given us a glimpse at what’s to come this week. Iskra: New Modern Warfare Operator Modern Warfare is getting a fresh face, as Iskra is set to make her debut (well, kind of – Iskra’s Operator bundle previously appeared in-store accidentally). The Urzikstani native is part of the Chimera Faction and will be available with two Legendary weapon blueprints, a Legendary knife skin, a helicopter skin and an in-game watch to sport on the battlefield. Twin Suns weapon bundle The ‘Twin Suns’ bundle will be available in-store throughout the week, offering a ‘Parallax’ LMG weapon blueprint and a Legendary handgun blueprint. Both weapon rigs are designed to favor a ‘silent but deadly’ approach to your game. So if you’re looking to sport them in your Warzone Custom Loadouts, be sure to equip them with Ghost and Cold-Blooded as well as the Dead Silence Field Upgrade, for the ultimate stealthy approach. Changes coming to Modern Warfare multiplayer Looking to up the ante? Infinity Ward are bringing back an old favorite with Demolition this week. Those that have played previous titles will be all too familiar with it. But if you’re wondering how it works (or just looking for a refresher), check out this comprehensive strategy guide if you want to become au fait with the rules of engagement. To top things off, a change of pace is coming to Gunfight, as Infinity Ward flick the switch on a 3v3 Knife Only playlist… Leave your firepower at the door, as you’ll need to master your craft with Throwing Knives and melee if you want to win with your trio. ‘Shoot the Rusty Ship 24/7’ is also coming to Modern Warfare, and will see Rust, Shipment and Shoot House combined into one playlist for the ultimate close-quarters moshpit! When is the next Modern Warfare update? The update is expected to be pushed live on May 13 at 11 AM (PT) / 2 PM (ET) / 6 PM (BST) across all platforms. Some updates for Modern Warfare have gone out at the later time of 11 PM PT, which would push it into the early hours of May 14 for other time zones. There are a plethora of minor bug fixes expected to come as part of the patch according to the developer’s Trello board, all of which are outlined below. Multiplayer Fixed regiments causing error ‘13-71.’ – Fixed Season 3 emblems that are appearing with developer names. – Resolved character model eyes — weren’t “looking the way they should.” – Rectified Operator’s watch animation — wasn’t appearing correctly when gesturing. – Warzone Fixed corrupted white lighting that appeared while moving and firing a weapon near certain areas. – Fixed players being in a state where they couldn’t interact with the team’s Loadout Drop after being brought back into the match. – Removed ‘revive prompt’ that would appear on character models even though they were alive. –

  • Infinity Ward reveal what’s coming to Modern Warfare ahead of Season 2 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal what’s coming to Modern Warfare ahead of Season 2 Infinity Ward/ActivisionInfinity Ward have confirmed that two fan-favorite playlists will be running side-by-side in Modern Warfare before the launch of Season Two, as well as more XP events. With Season Two just around the corner, Infinity Ward are looking to see out their first season with a bang. After issuing fans with an extension on Season One, Infinity Ward added Deathmatch Domination and Gunfight Custom to their playlist. Now, the Modern Warfare developers are turning up the heat and listening to community feedback by bringing back Shoot House 24/7, while keeping the dedicated Shipment playlist. In their January 31 community update, Infinity Ward stated that a few changes would be coming in their February 4 update. “We’re planning a few things for next week,” the developers wrote. “Maybe a playlist for Shipment 24/7 AND a playlist for Shoot House 24/7? Hm…” This would be the first time that both Shipment and Shoot House playlists have appeared in the game simultaneously — meaning that fans are being treated to an action-packed week of close-quarters combat. Alongside both playlists running side-by-side, fans will be able to grind the beloved ‘Gunfight’ playlist, as tournaments were also teased to return. For those needed to put the finishing touches to their Season One Battle Pass, players will be able to enjoy a plethora of XP events — from 2X XP and weapon XP to 2X tier progression. There’s no exact date for these yet though, with IW saying: “keep an eye out for when these go live next week!” Combat record reset and Spec Ops DLC download bug As well as the new content, IW have also responded to a couple of technical issues. For players whose combat record was reset after the latest update, they’ve said that anyone who “had their combat record stats reset should now see their combat record displaying properly.” Also, for players on PS4 who are getting an infinite download loop for Spec Ops DLC, they have provided a step-by-step solution here. Since Shipment’s spawns were reportedly tuned during the previous update and Shoot House is undoubtedly the most popular map on Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward are providing fans with plenty of reasons to continue their grind ahead of Season Two. While we look ahead to Season Two and everything that is in-store, here’s everything we know about Modern Warfare’s second season (including release date, maps and content).

  • Infinity Ward reveal Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 4 bug fixes – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 4 bug fixes Infinity WardInfinity Ward, developers behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the immensely popular Warzone battle royale, have revealed a host of bug fixes that players can expect to be implemented alongside the Season 4 update. Modern Warfare Season 4’s update is set to go live late on June 2, with a view to beginning on June 3. Players have come to expect the most significant in-game changes with the launch of new seasons. We’ve already had it confirmed that new maps, operators and weapons will be coming with the update, but that’s not all. New seasons also tend to bring a host of bug fixes, and Infinity Ward have gone some way to reveal issues we can expect to see patched when Season Four kicks off. Thanks to the developer’s dedicated Trello page, we can get an early look at a number of bug fixes that will be patched in the next update, barring any last minute issues. Season 4 Warzone Bug Fixes Probably top of the list are a number of Warzone changes, including those relating to fairly major bugs. One glitch inhibited players from buying back eliminated teammates, but Infinity Ward have confirmed that a fix should be on its way. Similarly, patches are coming for a couple of glitches that gave players access to non-Gulag weapons, and ones that allowed them to find floor loot in the Gulag. Finally, Warzone voice chat is going to receive improvements – good news for anyone who is playing cross platform. While not specific in regards to the changes being made, we can expect general improvements that stop voice chat cutting out so frequently. A number of players have commented on the inconsistency of Warzone’s voice chat since its release, especially after the April 28 update. Season 4 Modern Warfare Bug Fixes Furthermore, there are some specific fixes coming to Modern Warfare’s multiplayer. One of the most significant fixes coming is to stop an issue that prevented players earning a nuke while using blueprint weapons. Infinity Ward have also confirmed that patches are coming to stop visual corruption affecting multiplayer matches. This saw players experiencing bizarre multi-color screens and other graphical problems. Another significant fix coming relates to some players being able to move around while the match countdown timer is still ongoing. Despite the match not actually having started, some players found themselves able to move out of spawn, at a clear advantage to enemies who could not move. There are additional bugs listed on Trello that do not have clear fixes, so players will have to wait slightly longer to see those ironed out. Regardless, it’s good news for fans of Modern Warfare and Warzone, who can expect to enjoy a smoother experience when the bug fixes go live alongside the Season 4 launch.

  • Infinity Ward reveal Warzone fixes they’re working on for future updates – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal Warzone fixes they’re working on for future updates Infinity WardThere are a number of bugs and issues that need fixing in Call of Duty: Warzone, and Infinity Ward have outlined everything they’re working to address for the battle royale. Warzone is Call of Duty’s second run at the battle royale genre, following 2018’s Blackout, and it’s taken over the genre for the time being, leaving the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends in the dust. However, as with every game that’s just been released and is still in beta, it’s plagued with issues that can hinder the gaming experience – from major bugs to minor hitches. As part of their effort to maintain good communication with their player-base, Infinity Ward have updated their Modern Warfare Trello page to include Warzone issues as well. Read More: 6 best custom loadouts to use in Warzone – While a good chunk of reported bugs has been fixed, there is still a good amount of them that are in the works, some of which are closer to completion than others. There are two main areas of focus – fixes that will be coming in a near-future update and issues that are still being investigated, the solutions for which have not yet been determined. Fixes coming in future Warzone updates There are three issues for which Infinity Ward have found fixes for but haven’t implemented them in-game, as they’ll be rolled out in “future updates.” Players who disconnect from a match will not drop any items that they were carrying. – Players who are the last to die and attempt to leave the game, they’ll see a ‘your squad can still revive you’ message even though there are no squad mates alive. – Players will rarely see full-screen black corruption when naturally progressing through the map. – It’s not clear exactly when these will be addressed in-game, but with Infinity Ward releasing updates almost every week, players should be rest assured knowing that it’ll happen at some point in the coming weeks. Issues still being investigated As expected, this section of the Warzone list on Trello is a lot longer than the previous one, especially since more and more of these bugs and glitches seem to be popping up every day. There are currently seven of these issues – five that are being investigated and one that’s only an open ticket for now, meaning the devs haven’t even given it a look yet. Reports of white flashes of light/VFX when firing since the 3/10 update. This appears in all modes including Warzone. – Firing a smoke grenade with the Underbarrel 40mm smokescreen launcher does not emit any smoke from the grenade. – Reports of a bug that could kick players from a match if they became stuck on the loading screen. – The animation for the player’s character equipping a gas mask will interrupt and block player from deploying their parachute. – Reports of players seeing smoke coming from their character model as they move across the map. – Option to report players in Warzone is missing. – Weapons that have been switched to Single-fire Mode cannot be dropped/swapped for another weapon until switched back to full auto – Plunder – Players going into consecutive matches are seeing it end shortly after joining. (not yet being investigated) – Obviously, with how difficult addressing certain issues can be, there’s no timetable for when players can expect these fixes to be implemented. For now, everyone will just have to deal with them until Infinity Ward are able to take action.

  • Specialist Streaks will return in Modern Warfare, first details revealed – Dexerto

Specialist Streaks will return in Modern Warfare, first details revealed ActivisionActivision has shared a new article highlighting some of the gameplay mechanics available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ Multiplayer mode, including the return of Specialist Streaks. Some of the biggest news in the August 7 blog post was new information is about the Killstreak system coming to Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward Design Directors Geoff Smith and Joe Cecot told Activision Blog that Modern Warfare will feature a perk called “Point Man” that lets players change Killstreaks into Scorestreaks – a perk that hasn’t been available in playable builds of the game so far. What are Specialist Streaks? Modern Warfare will allow players to fully opt-out of Killstreaks altogether and earn new Perks as they rack up the kills in a Specialist system, which was also featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. “We do have a Perk called Point Man, that lets you go back to Scorestreaks if you want, if you like this playstyle,” Smith said in the post. “You can also opt out of Killstreaks, and use Perks in a Specialist system – we are peppering in little elements there for those that want them.” Nope, the Specialist System is an extra option in the Perk menu. This option unlocks during Player progression. When running a loadout with Specialist your Killstreaks are overridden with extra 3 selected perks. https://t.co/J6kEPnTwOV — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) August 7, 2019 After the article came out, Cecot confirmed on Twitter that there will be a bonus with Specialist Streaks just like there was in Modern Warfare 3. Of course these features are all optional, with the standard Killstreaks being the default option players will start with, but players that want to make the change will be able to switch. “You knew that when you had four kills, you were one away from a Predator missile, and your heart starts pounding, and you’re nervous,” Smith said in the post. “We felt that had gone away to some extent, so we went back to Killstreaks.” When will we know more about Modern Warfare? Recently an Infinity Ward developer Taylor Kurosaki hinted that fans could get a preview of Modern Warfare’s campaign gameplay at Gamescon 2019. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn’t feature a single player campaign at all, so a lot of fans are looking forward to the return of the game mode to the series. The original Modern Warfare campaign is touted as being one of the best in the entire Call of Duty series, so it will be interesting to see if the newest game in the series can live up to that reputation.

  • Infinity Ward reveal plans for ‘Fortnite type’ events in Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal plans for ‘Fortnite type’ events in Warzone Epic Games/ActivisionTaylor Kurosaki, Infinity Ward’s Narrative Director, has hinted at ‘Fortnite-like’ events coming to Call of Duty: Warzone in the near future. As Infinity Ward’s ‘Narrative Director’, you’d be somewhat forgiven for thinking Kurosaki’s only involvement was with Modern Warfare’s campaign. While that is undoubtedly a significant part of his work, recent years have seen a number of battle royales incorporating narratives and lore. Players don’t need to look further than Fortnite or Apex Legends, games which feature unique characters and world-bending events. Going off Kurosaki’s comments, it looks like Warzone is set to follow suit. In an April 11 interview with VentureBeat, on the topic of Epic Games’ building battle royale, Kurosaki said: “We’ve talked a lot in the past about whether games like Fortnite have a narrative. I would say yes, absolutely. I’d say Warzone does as well. But for me, it’s in a genre and a tone that I greatly prefer.” VentureBeat asked Kurosaki if Warzone’s “world” will have events like those featured in Fortnite, citing the eclipse that ended the game’s first chapter. Kurosaki responded: “That’s exactly the kind of thing that we’re working on, that we have planned. Again, it’s all going to fit into this macro that we’ve established in Modern Warfare, and that we’ve continued into Warzone.” Kurosaki suggested that Warzone’s narrative will be darker and more adult than those featured in Fortnite – unsurprising given the game’s considerably older target audience. He concluded: “If you know who the players are in Modern Warfare, it’ll all make sense, and it’ll all feel appropriate to the universe.” Modern Warfare welcomed back some fan-favorite characters like Captain Price, and we already have major teasers suggesting the map might be flooded. Whether Infinity Ward will go as far as having a black-hole swallow the map remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds like they’ll shake up the in-game environment. If the game does indeed follow Fortnite, we can expect the game’s most significant changes to occur at the beginning of new seasons. Modern Warfare’s next (and fourth) season is set to begin at the start of June.

  • Warzone dev reveals new weapons are coming to Gulag 1v1s – Dexerto

Warzone dev reveals new weapons are coming to Gulag 1v1s ActivisionAmos Hodge, lead designer at Raven Software, has shed some light on the creative process behind Call of Duty: Warzone’s Gulag 1v1, as well as confirming a new weapon pool will be coming soon. The ability to win a 1v1 and drop back in has been compared favorably to other BRs, which tend to feature slower, less active ways of bringing fallen teammates back. Examples include Fortnite’s reboot cards and Apex Legends’ banners. One topic of debate surrounding the Gulag has been the weapon pool players are given. At the moment this is all handguns and shotguns, but Hodge confirmed that the dev studios will be shaking this up in the near future. Speaking to GameSpot, Hodge confirmed that new weapons will be coming to the Gulag. However, he said that at any point the weapon pool will be very small, to allow players to get used to it and learn different weapons. “We are looking at changing up the Gulag starting weapons for future updates to keep things fresh,” Hodge explained. “The goal is to maintain a small set of weapons so players can get familiar with them.” He did not provide a time-scale on the weapon pool changes, but Season 4 of Modern Warfare is set to start at the beginning of June, which is the most likely time for any significant changes to the Gulag. Want to get better at winning your Gulag’s in Warzone? Here’s our best tips for always coming out on top in your 1v1. Related – The Upset That Created One of CoD’s Greatest Dynasties: Hodge also revealed how the Gulag itself came about. He states that Infinity Ward were working on Gunfight, and the smaller 2v2 mode gave them ideas on how players could determine their own fate. “First, we didn’t want a mechanic that was dependent on your teammates,” Hodge explained. “Not all players have a full squad working together as a well-oiled machine. And there is a certain poetry to a player earning their own way back into the game. Second, we wanted to focus on what CoD does best, and that is gunplay.” In other BRs, eliminated players are reliant on their teammates to bring them back. From the beginning, Infinity Ward and Raven knew they wanted eliminated players to take responsibility for dropping back in. When considering the amount of time and effort Warzone’s developers went to in crafting the Gulag, it’s no surprise that it’s turned out to be one of the most popular features.

  • Infinity Ward reveal new Warzone game modes coming in Season 4 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal new Warzone game modes coming in Season 4 Infinity WardModern Warfare’s flagship battle royale Warzone will “definitely” be getting a host of game modes — as many as a dozen more, if new leaks are to be believed — when Season 4 finally arrives, Infinity Ward devs have confirmed. Call of Duty’s return to the battle royale scene has been a total success. Even as Fortnite rolled out Travis Scott, and Apex prepares for another season switch-up, Warzone has been full-steam ahead with new guns, cosmetics, and more. Now it looks like Infinity Ward is doubling-down on that early success with the 150-player mode with a host of new playlists and limited-time modes, all of which the devs confirmed were “definitely” coming in Season 4. “On the gameplay stuff I can tell you, there will definitely be new modes… We’re constantly working on modes,” Raven Software creative director Amos Hodge told French publication GamerGen. “We want to add new spice to the game.” Hodge confirmed Modern Warfare’s battle royale would also be inundated with “new items, field upgrades, and loot,” next season. He also teased Warzone would soon have “brand new items to put in your loadout” on top of new playlists. Related: Incredible Call of Duty comebacks that shocked everyone: Infinity Ward’s narrative director Taylor Kurosaki also suggested the new modes may have something to do with “whole other parts of Verdansk [players] haven’t seen yet.” That does seem to confirm Warzone’s vaults will soon open. Hodge did not confirm what kind of new modes Warzone will be getting when Season 4 — expected to begin on June 2 — finally arrives. Thankfully, recent data-mined leaks have uncovered details on what may be coming soon. The leaks, dug up by code-dipper ModernWarzone, suggest a wide variety of new LTMs will make their way into the game. Some, like “Infinite Gulag,” seem like simple concepts. Others, like “PewPew,” we’ll just have to wait and see. Leaked Warzone Playlists Duos: One-Shot and Stimulus – Solos, Duos, Trios and Quads: Bottom Line – Infinite Gulag – Most Wanted – Run Like Hell – Classic Battle Royale – Mo’ Gulag, Mo’ Problems – Non-Stop – PewPew – Realism – Inflation Redeployment – There’s other good news on the horizon for Warzone — the long-awaited arrival of Duos may be quite soon, Infinity Ward have confirmed. Fans have demanded the two-player mode be added to the game since launch. Players have a wait ahead of them before they can get their hands on the new LTMs though. Season 4 is slated to launch sometime around June 3, so it may be a month before we see these playlists on live servers.

  • Infinity Ward reveal new modes coming to Warzone this week – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal new modes coming to Warzone this week Infinity Ward[jwplayer SZm0PqRr]Infinity Ward have dropped another weekly update detailing what is coming soon to Modern Warfare and Warzone – with some older modes making a return in the battle royale. Ever since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released back in October, Infinity Ward have been keeping the popular title updated with new content in their weekly updates or when a new season gets underway. With the addition of Warzone coming back in March, these weekly updates have been used to detail what’s coming next in Verdansk – be it a brand-new weapon, the opening of the mysterious vaults, or new modes. In their July 13 update, Infinity Ward have revealed what’s coming in the week ahead – with a few modes making a return. The developers noted that Battle Royale Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads will all still be available during the weekend before a refresh comes over the weekend. Once the weekend hits, players will be able to dive back into Warzone Rumble – the Team Deathmatch-like mode that has quickly become a fan-favorite as teams of 50 fight it out in a small part of Verdansk. Plunder Trios will also be available once again, so, you’ll have to split up your squads if you decide to shake things up and start playing the money hunting mode. If you’re not planning on stepping foot in Verdansk, there are plenty of changes coming to multiplayer as well. Cheshire Park 8v8 and Shoot House 24/7 will take the place of the current 24/7 playlist. One in the Chamber will also return while Gun Game Reloaded and All or Nothing will be available to play as well. On top of all that, there is another round of Gunfight Tournaments dropping in Modern Warfare so you can fight with a partner there instead of fending for yourself in Warzone’s Gulag.

  • Infinity Ward reveal new modes coming to Modern Warfare: Rust 1v1 & more – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal new modes coming to Modern Warfare: Rust 1v1 & more Infinity Ward / ActivisionInfinity Ward have confirmed that a dedicated Rust ‘one-versus-one’ mode is coming soon, alongside NVG Reinforce and some XP events as part of their February 18 update. Season Two kicked-off with a bang, as Ghost was welcomed back into the Modern Warfare multiplayer saga as an unlockable Operator after weeks of in-game teasers. Alongside the return of the infamous Special Forces Operator, one of the most iconic maps in Modern Warfare history landed back onto fans’ screens, as Rust made its emphatic comeback. Infinity Ward tease a nostalgic Rust 1v1 playlist Of course, Infinity Ward aren’t looking sit back and bask in their glory, as the Modern Warfare developers have unveiled their forthcoming plans in their February 14 community update. “After a sappy Valentine’s Day weekend, nothing kicks off a fresh week better than NVG Reinforce. Or maybe… maybe your Valentine’s Day didn’t go so well? 1v1 a new potential soulmate in Rust!” Alongside confirming that the new ‘NVG Reinforce’ game mode from their roadmap reveal would be hitting players’ playlists next week, IW hinted that some intense close-quarters combat would be returning to their beloved series — and on Rust no less! Those who have followed the Call of Duty franchise for some time will remember the trademark Cage Match game mode from the original Modern Warfare, which pitted players against one another in a high-ante, fiery matchup. Considering the mode’s popularity, it temporarily transitioned across onto Modern Warfare 2… which ultimately founded the culture of ‘1v1 on Rust’ — the ultimate test of die-hard Call of Duty players everywhere. Now it appears that IW is combining Cage Match and Rust into one hybrid mode for players to lock horns in the ultimate test of skill — or just quickscope for some fun. You will also have the opportunity to lap-up some double weapon XP as part of the update, meaning that you can rank up the new Grau and Striker in next to no time at all.

  • Infinity Ward reveal new game mode cut from Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal new game mode cut from Modern Warfare GameInformer/Infinity WardThe most recent edition of the GameInformer magazine has revealed details on a game mode known as ‘Combat Outpost’, that was dropped from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare development. As Modern Warfare’s October 25 release date edges closer, information regarding the game is trickling out. Infinity Ward have been fairly tight-lipped regarding innovative features, but GameInformer appear to have confirmed that one new game mode will not be making the cut. While certain fan favorite modes are almost guaranteed to return every year, developers often try and add new modes to innovate their games. For example, this year’s Black Ops 4 saw the addition of Control and Heist, the former of which is featured in the CWL this year. Modern Warfare has already been confirmed to feature a number of changes to the CoD formula, such as the absence of a minimap as default in multiplayer. One innovative mode however, did not make the cut. ‘Combat Outpost’ was a new mode that was potentially going to be involved in Modern Warfare, but that Infinity Ward stopped working on. The mode is described as “a sort of tug-of-war”, in which players try to capture a middle spot of the map, and then work their way up the map towards the enemy side. The idea, as remarked by GameInformer, “conjures up notions of Frontlines from Battlefield”. 600However, the mode was dropped from inclusion in the final game. Despite this, GameInformer states that “the team (Infinity Ward) is still playing around with new modes and designs”, so we may still see some brand new game modes when Modern Warfare drops. Some Reddit users compared the idea to ‘War’ mode from 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War, while others drew comparison with ‘Momentum’, a mode that was present in Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare. Regardless of the reasons behind the dropping of ‘Combat Outpost’, Infinity Ward do not seem scared to experiment with new features in Modern Warfare. The latest instalment in the CoD series will drop on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One on October 25, 2019.

  • Infinity Ward reveal content & fixes coming in next Modern Warfare Update – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal content & fixes coming in next Modern Warfare Update Infinity Ward have released the first-ever Community Update for Modern Warfare detailing what’s coming soon to the game, including a 3v3 Gunfight mode, more loadouts, fixes for serious glitches, and more. On January 5, Infinity Ward Art Director Joel Emslie admitted that they were looking into new and improved avenues of communication between the developers and players. Just a few days later, on January 10, IW acted on that promise with the release of their first Community Update for Modern Warfare, highlighting some of the new playlists and features coming to the game. In addition, they’ve also launched an official Trello page that features all of the issues currently plaguing the game, and how far the developers are in the process of finding and implementing fixes for them. A full breakdown of this January 10 Community Update can be found below, including all upcoming new content, known issues being worked on, and a set schedule for when players can expect communication. What’s coming next in Modern Warfare? One of the first things that Infinity Ward will be adding is a 3v3 version of Gunfight. The base variant of the mode, of course, is 2v2, and now that the 1v1 version was recently added in the January 7 playlist update, fans can expect the 3v3 to come soon. Speaking of Gunfight, the fan-favorite Gunfight Tournament will be brought back soon after its beta version was briefly made available in November. IW will add the tournaments back once they’ve “squashed a few bugs and added in new rewards.” Players who are not content with having just five loadouts in multiplayer are in for good news as additional loadouts are coming soon. There will also be more 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier promo events held in-game. “That’s just a taste of things we’re working on, so keep an eye out for these and more in future updates,” Infinity Ward wrote. Known issues being investigated in Modern Warfare No one can deny that Modern Warfare has had its share of bugs, glitches, and exploits since being released on October 25. The developers marked a few of the issues they’re currently investigating and looking to fix, so players should expect to see them patched in the upcoming updates: Lighting flickering on various maps – Mission collision on containers on Cargo – Platinum skins not unlocking properly – Out of map exploits in Ground War – Platinum and Damascus camos glare while ADS – Weekly communication schedule In order to improve the consistency of their communication with players, Infinity Ward released a weekly schedule for when fans can expect announcements and new information. Tuesday – a playlist update will be released mixing up the game modes available in multiplayer – Thursdays – new developer diary entry and/or behind the scenes blog – Fridays – new Community Update, much like this January 10 one, in which IW will detail exactly what’s being worked on and where the game is headed. – This is all, of course, in addition to patch notes that will be released every time a new update or patch is rolled out.

  • Infinity Ward reveal more changes coming to Modern Warfare in updates – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal more changes coming to Modern Warfare in updates Following the November 2 update that fixed a number of issues including battlechatter and footstep audio, Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director, Joe Cecot, has revealed more fixes that are in the pipeline for Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward’s team have been inundated with feedback from far and wide, from wholesale changes to minor tweaks that can be made to provide a smoother multiplayer experience in Modern Warfare. Notably, footstep audio and battlechatter were among the items addressed in the 1.06 update. Nonetheless, Infinity Ward have plenty more fixes to implement ahead of the Call of Duty League getting underway in 2020. Even though the patch was only pushed live on November 2, Joe Cecot has unveiled a list of changes that are forthcoming for the first-person shooter. In a tweet posted the same day, Cecot announced that there are “more updates in the works” which include: More restricted player call-out logic. – Prevent enemies from hearing call-outs in all modes. – Challenge system fixes. – Weapon tuning. – Spawn updates. – Excited to get the footstep tuning in live along with these other changes. More updates in the works: – more restricted player call out logic – prevent enemies from hearing call outs in all modes – challenge system fixes – weapon tuning – spawn updates https://t.co/YF0KBYttLT— Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) November 2, 2019 It appears that the battlechatter update will be refined somewhat, to restrict player call-outs back to more ‘basic’ dialogue (i.e., “reloading” or “changing mags”) — as opposed to revealing precise enemy locations., and will be made silent to enemies in all modes. Moreover, a change to the ongoing spawn issues could be imminent. Currently, spawns take too long to ‘flip’ in respawn game modes, which means that players are becoming frustrated when pinned into a specific area of the map. Cecot previously posted a number of fixes that were being worked a mere few days before the patch went live, which hints at the possibility of another quick turnaround here. Indeed, Cecot and co. will be keen to address the community feedback as soon as possible, given that #FixModernWarfare is currently gaining traction on Twitter.

  • Infinity Ward reveal Modern Warfare fixes coming in Season Three – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal Modern Warfare fixes coming in Season Three ActivisionJoe Cecot, Co-Design Director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has revealed a number of fixes that players can expect in Modern Warfare Season 3 when it drops on April 8. With Warzone currently dominating the Call of Duty scene, some fans have felt that regular multiplayer itself has been pushed to the backburner. However, the recent announcement of Season 3 has got fans of the most recent CoD installment relishing what is to come. While we don’t have final, confirmed details of the content that will drop on April 8, any big update will bring with it a plethora of bug fixes. Thankfully, Modern Warfare multiplayer designer Joe Cecot has confirmed a number of issues we can expect to see patched. Modern Warfare Season Three fixes Firstly, Cecot confirmed that a fix will be on its way for a bizarre tactical grenade glitch, which fails to give players a hit marker, even when they have hit an enemy. “Super weird glitch last night where I didn’t get a hitmarker or any indication when I stunned another player,” one Modern Warfare player said, “but killcam shows I definitely did hit him”. In response, Cecot stated that it’s not a glitch he’s seen before, but it’s one that’s now on Infinity Ward’s radar, and one we can expect to see patched in or before Season 3 commences. Next up, Cecot confirmed that the Season 3 update will feature tuning for shotgun slugs. Slugs are a possible attachment to a host of Modern Warfare’s shotguns. They drastically increase a weapon’s range, but rely on improved accuracy on the user’s behalf. One Modern Warfare player asked Cecot if tuning is in store, after a video on the Modern Warfare subreddit showed some bizarre inaccuracies in the slugs, despite the user’s crosshairs being precisely on an enemy. “I believe changes are in [the] Season 3 update,” Cecot simply responded. Finally, Cecot confirmed fixes are coming to the purchasing of bundles. Users have recently experienced difficulties when purchasing bundles, particularly the Ghost bundle on Xbox One. In response, Cecot simply confirmed that the errors are “being worked on”. It’s important to remember that the Season 3 update will probably cause a number of bugs, as well as fixing them. However, Cecot’s swift responses reflect IW’s efforts to make Modern Warfare as bug free as possible. For a full list of the bugs Infinity Ward are working on, you can check out their dedicated Modern Warfare Trello board.

  • Infinity Ward reveal insane attention to detail with Modern Warfare characters – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal insane attention to detail with Modern Warfare characters Infinity WardFollowing the reveal of Tactical Infiltration in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, an incredible detail has been confirmed by Infinity Ward, regarding watches worn by in-game characters. It’s fair to say that the overwhelming majority of the CoD community is eagerly anticipating Modern Warfare, as it represents a return to the titles that spearheaded CoD’s explosion in popularity. Infinity Ward have been slow to release details regarding their game, with the full multiplayer reveal scheduled for August 1. However, one eagle-eyed fan’s inquiry into the Tactical Infiltration teaser revealed an incredible detail in the game. In the teaser trailer, the time is clearly stated in the bottom left as 17:55, but when the main character jumps out of the helicopter, his watch does not match, saying a time of 9:55. This led to one Reddit user making a post, entitled “the watch is fake”. They said that “the time is 17:55 but the watch the guy is wearing doesn’t match this time. A little immersion breaking but definitely not a big deal”. However, the post was picked up by Infinity Ward’s Art Director, who replied: “The watches read the time off of your console or pc. They are real time not game time.” Basically, wherever you are in the world, your character’s watch will reflect the time in your locality. While not a gameplay-impacting addition, and unlikely to be noticed by many, the attention to detail is undoubtedly impressive, and bodes well for the future Modern Warfare. While some responses mocked the original user for noticing such a small thing, many expressed their amazement that Infinity Ward would take the time to add such a unique feature, that increases how personal the game will feel. With so much of Modern Warfare still remaining obscure to fans, it’s likely that there will be even more reveals such as this, as Infinity Ward’s attention to detail is put under the microscope. It’s fair to say that Infinity Ward’s last game, Infinite Warfare, was criticized by fans for feeling rushed, with many comparing it unfavorably to Black Ops III. For example, multiplayer did not have leaderboards for roughly three months after its initial release. However, such a small detail already being evident in Modern Warfare suggests that Infinity Ward is spending more time on ensuring it releases as a complete, immersive experience.

  • Infinity Ward reveal how they’re dealing with Warzone cheaters – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal how they’re dealing with Warzone cheaters FreePikCall of Duty: Modern Warfare developers Infinity Ward and publishers Activision have unveiled their anti-cheating measures for Warzone battle royale, in response to growing frustration from players in regards to the rampant hacking. Warzone has been all the rage in the Call of Duty community, but despite its instant success, the game has not been without its fair share of faults. One of the biggest issues plaguing the BR has been cheating, and it didn’t take long for the player-base to voice its collective concerns regarding the seemingly unchecked growth of people using hacks. The most common cheats are aimbot, which allows one to lock their aim at a target and not miss shots, and wallhacks, giving players the ability to track enemies through obstacles and buildings. Read More: How to get MW2 Remastered & Ghost bundle – On March 31, Activision and Infinity Ward put out a blog post detailing the steps they’re taking to deal with hackers. In addition, they revealed that more than 50,000 accounts have already been permanently banned worldwide through the game’s first three weeks of existence. As far as the anti-cheating measures go, Infinity Ward say they have security teams monitoring 24/7 to “investigate data and identify potential infractions.” Their teams review aimbots, wallhacks, and other “all possible cheats and hacks.” Notifying IW of cheaters is an important aspect of dealing with this issue, so the devs say they’re working on improving the in-game reporting system, and that plans are underway to “streamline the UI for a more seamless reporting experience.” All of the reports they receive are analyzed and, once their investigations are complete, they “continue to work as quickly as possible to ban.” In addition, IW and Activision promise to “provide a regular count on the latest number of bans issued,” so the community could be kept up-to-date on how many get handed out. Read More: Warzone players demand change to OP vehicles – This news came on what was a very busy day for the folks running the world of Call of Duty. Earlier on March 31, the remastered version of Modern Warfare 2’s iconic campaign was released as a surprise. Many fans of the game were not pleased to see that the multiplayer component was not remastered, a decision which Activision explained in a follow-up blog post, in which they also detailed some of their plans to integrate some MW2 maps into the current Modern Warfare title. Because of Sony’s exclusivity agreement with Activision, the campaign is available only for PS4 for the next 30 days, after which it will also be released for Xbox One and PC.

  • Infinity Ward reveal fixes coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 5 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal fixes coming to Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 5 Infinity WardCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward have confirmed a number of bug fixes will be coming to Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 5 in a near-future update, sorting a host of frustrating issues. Despite Warzone’s incredible popularity – hitting 75 million players within 6 months of its release – it has received a fair amount of criticism for hackers and bugs. The former remains pretty pervasive, but Infinity Ward are going out of their way to make it as bug-free as possible. We saw a rapid patch for an infamous ‘demon gun glitch’ earlier in August, and the developers have now given a series of updates on what players can expect later in Season 5. Arguably the most prominent of all the bug fixes confirmed relates to players pulling their parachutes when making the smallest of jumps. Infinity Ward responded to a clip from streamer TimTheTatman some time ago, and it has now been confirmed via their Trello board that a fix will be coming in a future update. The glitch has actually been present in Warzone since the game launched, so many players will be relieved to hear that it’s no longer an issue. HOW LONG HAS THIS PARACHUTE GLITCH BEEN IN WARZONE?! pic.twitter.com/FZpqvonbPW — timthetatman? (@timthetatman) July 29, 2020 Another Warzone specific bug that has been fixed relates to the self-revive ability, that many found was broken following the Season 5 update. The bugs specifically relate to the UI when using self-revive, as it doesn’t show when a player has it, and doesn’t prompt them to use it when downed. Infinity Ward have confirmed this will be fixed. Similarly, a fix for Quads specifically relating to Most Wanted contracts, with teammates displaying incorrectly on mini-maps will be coming. These are not the only Warzone issues being sorted, but they are arguably the most important. In terms of Modern Warfare itself, the most notable fix is coming to the Tracker perk. Players have been noticing the benefits of the Tracker perk after respawning, even when they do not have it equipped. Needless to say, this has been giving significant advantages to certain players, and will be fixed in the next multiplayer update. Warzone bug fixes coming soon Players have reported seeing Tracker footprints on the ground after respawning, even when they don’t have the perk equipped. – Players have reported multiple issues with rank and Battle pass progress, as well as not getting credit for missions and challenges. – Tracers lose their impact VFX when the ammunition is changed from the default 5.56 NATO ammunition on the M4A1. – Season 5 Week 1 challenge reads: “Call in the Personal UAV Killstreak 7 Times.” Should be written as Personal Radar. – While jumping in certain areas of Verdansk, the player’s parachute may open. – Yellow highlighting of your name in the Squad widget is missing in BR Buy Back. – Players are seeing multiple issues with self revive UI after our latest update. – Player’s mini-map icon had both the downed icon and arrow when the player started the Most Wanted contract in BR Quads. – For a full run-down of all the bugs Infinity Ward are tracking, you can check out their dedicated Modern Warfare and Warzone Trello board. Read More: How to fly further in Warzone – In terms of when they will be fixed, there were no specifics available. However, we have seen significant updates go out on Tuesdays for Warzone, so the 25th August looks like a potential date. We will, of course, provide you all the patch notes when the games’ next updates go live.

  • Infinity Ward reveal early look at next Modern Warfare update patch notes – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal early look at next Modern Warfare update patch notes Infinity WardDevelopers Infinity Ward have released their latest weekly Community Update for Modern Warfare, giving players an early glimpse at what the April 28 patch will bring to multiplayer and Warzone battle royale. As part of their effort to improve communication with the Call of Duty player-base, Infinity Ward have been releasing weekly Community Updates to keep everyone in the loop with what they’re working on. Their April 24 post has revealed that the classic Shoot the Ship 24/7 playlist, which combines fan-favorite maps Shipment and Shoot House, will be returning. There will be a slight twist in this version, however, as both the Cranked and Grind modes will be mixed in. As for Gunfight, fans of the popular 2v2 mode will be glad to hear that “fun variations” of it are on the way, although the devs remained mum on what those will be. Perhaps the biggest news is that Infinity Ward look to be releasing the new weapon mastery camo that they’ve been teasing for a while now. “There’s also something new to chase after you’ve completed Damascus. Maybe you’re more of an Obsidian type of camo chaser…? Or maybe you want to mix and match blueprint weapon attachments to your heart’s content, even on another blueprint weapon…” Details on this new master camo have remained murky, although Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, Joe Cecot, did previously reveal that it would “take a long time” to unlock. However, players will not need to have Damascus unlocked to pursue this new gun skin, so having gold will be enough. Last but not least, the developers also included some of what will be in the patch notes – fixes for bugs and issues that have been plaguing the game. Fix for a bug where PC players using a Vega64 GPU could see corrupted outlines around their character models and weapons. – Fix for a bug where selecting the USEF 1 skin for the Mil-Sim Operator appears as the default skin in Co-op – Adjusted the speed and sizing of the circle in Warzone – Fix for a bug where completing the completionist challenges for the SKS are unlocking the associated camos for the Renetti – Fix for a bug where unlocking camos for the SKS was inconsistent with other camo challenges for marksman rifles – Fixed a bug where the “Hard Wired” skin for Alex would appear in thermals while Cold Blooded is equipped – Fixed a bug where some watches were appearing the wrong direction when gesturing – Fixed a bug where players could lose the option to pick their favorite Faction in the Operator menu – Fixed a bug where white lighting could be seen while moving or firing a weapon near specific locations – This update will be rolled out on Tuesday, April 28, although the exact time has not yet been announced. While Infinity Ward have usually released patches at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, they’ve lately moved it later at night so to avoid causing major disruptions to servers during active hours. As usual, we will bring you the full patch notes once the update goes live as well as any other information that becomes available.

  • Infinity Ward reveal bug fixes coming in Modern Warfare & Warzone update – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal bug fixes coming in Modern Warfare & Warzone update ActivisionInfinity Ward has been hard at work addressing Modern Warfare and Warzone’s bugs and glitches for an upcoming update, so here’s everything they’ve confirmed is being fixes in a future patch. The last Modern Warfare update brought Iskra into the fold of Operators for the Allegiance, alongside adding a new weapon blueprint and game modes/playlists for multiplayer. From Infinity Ward’s Season 3 roadmap, players can expect to see both Hardhat and Aisle 9 added to the map pool rotation for regular game modes and Gunfight, respectively. Modern Warfare fixes in future update There are plenty of fixes coming for Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, some of which we have already covered. The added issues which have been addressed can be found on the Infinity Ward issue tracker marked as ‘Fixed in a future update.’ Progression with the Renetti unlocks a Merc Foregrip which can’t be used on this weapon. – Reports of the “Use Dead Silence in three matches” challenge not working as intended. – Crossbow kills in Gun Game didn’t progress the player. – Countdown timer allowing players to move while in Domination. – The “Time to Reap” watch does not tell time. – Warzone fixes in future update It appears that all the focus has been shifted on polishing Warzone during the next update, as the developers have been hard at work fixing a number of issues in Verdansk. Perhaps most notable, is a fix for the gas invincibility exploit that players were able to use — where players who redeployed during the final circle were immune to sustaining damage from the gas. Below is a list of all previously unknown fixes coming to Warzone in a future update. Arklov Peak Military Base – There is a stuck spot between one of the bunker walls and an earth mound. – Report of a possible glitch area. – Reports of an exploit with helicopters getting out of the map. – If a team manages to buy a player back as the final circle closes, the resurrected player will redeploy immune to the gas. – In rare instances, players are getting stuck inside of the AC-130 during the Warzone infill, by entering a state where they bypass the auto deploy feature. – Reports of issues with voice chat after our April 28 update. – Bug where a Contract appeared to be stuck inside a resupply station. – Unable to bring squadmate back in the match from certain Buy Stations. – One ‘issue’ that Infinity Ward hasn’t addressed in their notes, is the distinct howling noises coming from Verdansk’s ‘Dam’ POI. With no ‘fix’ in sight and some apparent changes to the area’s landscape, could we be seeing (or hearing) our first Season 4 Warzone map teaser? Will the Dam burst its banks, leading to catastrophic changes to the rest of our beloved Battle Royale map?

  • Infinity Ward reveal issues they’re investigating in Modern Warfare Gunfight – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal issues they’re investigating in Modern Warfare Gunfight Infinity WardInfinity Ward have revealed the list of issues they are investigating as the 2v2 Gunfight Alpha for Modern Warfare draws to a close. Following weeks of waiting, a handful of teaser trailers and apparent leaks, Call of Duty fans on PS4 finally got their hands on the 2v2 Gunfight Alpha on August 22 – marking the first action that the Modern Warfare action open to players. While it will come to an end on Sunday, August 25, the developers haven’t stopped mustering up new content in the form of different maps and a battle royale-style game mode. However, as with any changes, there comes the need for bug and glitch fixes – and with this being an alpha, more issues than normal should be expected. As she has done following the end of each day, Infinity Ward’s communication manager Ashton Williams noted the state of play with the alpha – with the final day focused on tweaks. “We know this isn’t all of the feedback you’ve shared over the past three days, but here are some updates on a few issues we’ve frequently been seeing,” she posted in her Reddit update. The brief list of issues that Williams posted is: Head glitches, explosives that cause damage through multiple surfaces, inconsistencies with penetrable surfaces (metal containers, wood surfaces, etc.), freezing that results in a black screen when loading into a match, and picking up equipment in Gunfight: OSP won’t auto-pickup if you press square within a certain distance. While Williams did note that these aren’t all the issues that they’re working on, fans were quick to point out other features that need work. The biggest other complaint was pointed out by Hecheslevokian, who said: “Smoke grenades can be in different positions depending on player. You may not be able to see a player through smoke, but they can see you through it. That’s something that definitely needs work.” Whether these issues are addressed before the alpha comes to a close is unlikely, especially as a closing time has been announced for 1pm EST. The full multiplayer beta is up next for Modern Warfare, starting on September 12, first for PS4 players, with other platforms to follow.

  • Infinity Ward reveal 3 changes coming to Modern Warfare multiplayer – Dexerto

Infinity Ward reveal 3 changes coming to Modern Warfare multiplayer Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, Joe Cecot, has revealed a number of changes coming to Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, including a sought-after change to player’s custom class slots. Fans have been demanding extra loadout slots for a while, after Modern Warfare only gave players five. While other CoDs have launched with five as the default amount, prestiging has previously unlocked an extra loadout slot. Modern Warfare has no prestiging system, but Infinity Ward have previously confirmed that more will be coming soon, in accordance with fan demands. On January 3, Cecot responded to a Modern Warfare fan asking when Infinity Ward plan to implement the extra loadout slots. Read More: Notorious Modern Warfare cheater escapes ban – In response, Cecot confirmed that they should be with players “in January”, but doesn’t have an exact release date yet. Regardless, it shouldn’t be a particularly complex addition for Infinity Ward to orchestrate, so we should see extra classes for all Modern Warfare players in the next few weeks. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1213290161338863617?s=20 Potential Trophy System buff Similarly, he responded to a fan on the topic of Trophy Systems. While many past CoDs have seen the defensive equipment as a ‘Tactical’ option, they are only available in Modern Warfare as a ‘Field Upgrade’. On January 3, one fan took issue with the fact that players using the equipment are still damaged by opponent grenades, which Trophy Systems destroy. They argued that players using the Trophy Systems to negate the strength of grenades were still being damaged by them. In response, Cecot said: “The intent is to make it a softer grenade counter… I’ll look at the damage now and see where it’s at.” He also referenced Modern Warfare 3, the game in which Trophy Systems were introduced. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1213299726793113600?s=20 Therefore, it seems possible we’ll see adjustments made to Trophy Systems in the near future, depending on the feedback Infinity Ward receive. Modern Warfare gives all players a lethal and tactical grenade, meaning Trophy Systems are very useful in modes such as HQ and Hardpoint. Game modes Finally, Cecot confirmed there will be crossovers of Cranked and other game modes in the near future. One player had asked for a ‘Gun Game X Cranked’ game mode, an idea Cecot said he “likes a lot” and that “I’m sure in the future we’ll do some things like this”. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1213267079576424449?s=20 Cranked has been one of the most positively met modes from Infinity Ward, encouraging fans to play aggressively in return for some in-game perks. Fans have already suggested adjustments to Cranked, which Cecot said he would consider. It sounds like we’ll see variations on the popular game mode soon, alongside extra loadout slots and adjustments to Trophy Systems.

  • Infinity Ward responds to multiple issues in Modern Warfare & Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward responds to multiple issues in Modern Warfare & Warzone ActivisionA host of Infinity Ward developers have revealed multiple fixes on their way to Modern Warfare and Warzone, following the significant April 28 update. Since the April 28 update, Modern Warfare players have been experiencing new issues, including extended matchmaking times and in-game lag. While Activision Support have stated the situation is resolved, many are still struggling. Any new update is bound to cause a few bugs, the likes of which Modern Warfare players want to see ironed out as soon as possible. Thankfully, Infinity Ward staff have been responding to players’ complaints, giving us an idea of changes we can expect to see in the near future. Among other things, Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, confirmed changes will be coming to how players can unlock the new MK9 Bruen LMG. Currently, players have to kill three enemies when an enemy is near smoke with an LMG across 15 different matches. However, Cecot confirmed this will be changed “to make it count both if you or the victim are in the smoke.” This will make it considerably easier for players to complete this particular challenge. Working on a change to make it count both if you or the victim are in the smoke. — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) May 2, 2020 Similarly, Cecot responded to a Twitter user who, while messing around with a helicopter in Warzone, managed to fall underneath the map. It is not the first ‘under the map’ glitch Modern Warfare has encountered, but the helicopter flying under the map is a bizarre image. Finally, Cecot responded to FaZe Clan content creator and sniper ‘Dirty’, regarding how Obsidian camo appears on the KAR98K. Currently, it does not cover the sniper scope too, leading to an odd aesthetic. Other Infinity Ward developers, Ashton Williams and Joel Emslie, also replied to fans’ concerns. Emslie, who is the Art Director of Modern Warfare, poured cold water on players’ hopes of a weapon inspect mechanic anytime soon. Popular CoD YouTuber ‘PrestigeIsKey’ asked the question, regarding a feature that has been in a number of Call of Duty games, including the Infinity Ward led Modern Warfare Remastered. Unfortunately, Emslie said: “Right now. No. Sorry.” Finally, Ashton Williams confirmed that Infinity Ward are investigating issues with Battle Passes locking, but did not provide a time scale on a fix. While fans are frustrated with the bugs that have followed the April 28 update, they have also been impressed with Infinity Ward’s swift responses to the glitches. For a full list of the bugs Infinity Ward are working on, you can check out their dedicated Modern Warfare Trello board.

  • Infinity Ward responds to Modern Warfare mini-map controversy – Dexerto

Infinity Ward responds to Modern Warfare mini-map controversy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developers have finally issued a comment as pro players continue to criticize the new in-game mini-map. With the PlayStation 4 exclusive beta period nearing its end, pro Call of Duty players have been voicing their opinions on the evolving mini-map drama ahead of the public beta on September 21. At the launch of the initial beta, Modern Warfare developers Infinity Ward decided to outright remove the mini-map from competitive play. To the displeasure of many, that decision was quickly overturned, however, the current mini-map still remains the focal point of much frustration. As it currently stands, the mini-map remains constant in the top left corner of the Heads Up Display (HUD), however, only teammates can be seen. In previous games, enemies would appear on the mini-map when firing weapons without silencers. This can lead to all sorts of balancing issues and frustrating gameplay as objective and spawn control can be much harder to ascertain without enemy positioning in mind. Commenting on the drama, Infinity Ward Senior Communications Manager, Ashton Williams, tweeted that the developers are “still looking at different ways to work with the minimap, team outlines, and the compass,” and that they would keep monitoring the situation. Noted. We’re still looking at different ways to work with the minimap, team outlines, and the compass. Let’s see how tomorrow goes and rest of the beta for weekend two. — Ashton Williams (@ashtonisVULCAN) September 15, 2019 It took Infinity Ward until Day 3 of the beta to implement the altered mini-map however, pro players have been praising the constant communication thus far from the developers. FaZe Clan member Zer0 chimed in on the updates, stating that “Infinity Ward are really doing what they should do for a beta, loving the changes they’re making every day.” Infinity ward are really doing what they should do for a beta, loving the changes theyre making everyday, do see if its better or worse, i thibk a regualar mini map would still be better but outlining your team mates was a good play from them, hope that stays. — (treiboi carti) (@TreiZer0) September 15, 2019 Overall, the response to the beta has been mostly positive from pro players outside of the mini-map controversy. Game will be phenomenal. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) September 15, 2019 With the transition to a franchise-based model in 2020, the competitive Call of Duty landscape is undergoing an unprecedented shift. Therefore, pro players have been hard at work throughout the beta, getting familiar with the title that will make or break their first season under the new model. You can test out the beta for yourself across all platforms when it goes public on September 21, though you can get in early on September 19 if you pre-order.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Warzone broken building bug – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Warzone broken building bug Activision/Infinity WardInfinity Ward has responded to a Call of Duty: Warzone bug that allows players to shoot through a window from one side but not the other. The third season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduced plenty of new content into Warzone – with the most notable coming in the form of a Squads playlist, an increase in price for the Loadout Drop, and new floor loot. There is still plenty more to come as well, including the previously leaked Snipers and Shottys mode – which has been renamed to ‘Scopes and Scatter Guns’. However, the developers will probably have to roll out a handful of new bug fixes as well, as players have found some spots that are pretty powerful on one side but useless on the other. The issue in question stems from a building in the Tavorsk District – on both Warzone and Ground War – that has a circular window looking out onto a bus. Players can through the window from the outside, by the bus, but returning fire from inside the building will see your bullets disappear. After calls for a change, Infinity Ward’s art director Joel ‘ArtPeasant’ Emslie stepped up and simply commented “noted” on the Modern Warfare subreddit – confirming that the issue had finally been seen by the developers. Comment byu/BeatzTM_PC from discussion inmodernwarfare However, other players pointed out that the window can have a mind of its own at times – with the problem occasionally flipping sides, letting players shoot from inside the building but not from the outside. Some even went as far as claiming that explosives – grenades and C4 in particular – can’t be thrown through either side at all and will just hang in midair like they’re stuck in a constant loop. Though, with Infinity Ward now aware of the issue, fans will be hoping that a fix comes sooner rather than later and that they can finally deal damage as intended. Whether or not the fix is implemented in Warzone before Ground War, or vice versa, though, very much remains to be seen.

  • Infinity Ward respond to strange Warzone reloading bug – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to strange Warzone reloading bug Infinity Ward/YT: NoCommentaryGamingJoe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has responded to a bizarre reloading bug in Call of Duty: Warzone, brought to his attention to by FaZe Clan’s Pamaj and CDL caster Maven. Call of Duty: Warzone’s most recent patch went live on May 18, with multiple significant changes coming to Verdansk. The patch has seen brand new bunkers come to life in Warzone, alongside cryptic teasers for an upcoming in-game event. However, any large patch was bound to bring new bugs to Call of Duty: Warzone, with multiple players reporting smaller issues as a result of the May 18 update. Among latency and connection problems, some players have reported a bug that prevents certain weapons from successfully reloading. Read More: Every Call of Duty: Warzone bunker location – Prominent FaZe Clan sniper Austin ‘Pamaj’ Pamajewon posted a clip of the HDR sniper failing to reload in Warzone. He said that since changing to the extended 7-round mags on the HDR, he has not experienced the issue nearly as frequently. Thankfully, Infinity Ward dev Joe Cecot was on hand to provide an update from Warzone’s developers. “We’re on this [bug],” he said. “Reproduced in dev environment. Thank you”. Reproducing the issue in a developer environment will allow Infinity Ward to isolate the issue and code a fix. Given the progress of a fix and Cecot’s response, we can expect to see a patch coming for the reload issue in Warzone’s next update. Going off past updates this looks likely to be a Tuesday, probably the 26th May, although we will confirm this with official patch notes as soon as possible.

  • Infinity Ward respond to spawn glitch and FPS issues in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to spawn glitch and FPS issues in Modern Warfare Infinity Ward / ActivisionModern Warfare developers Infinity Ward have been working on a few bugs that are specific to multiplayer map Rust, and fans will be pleasantly surprised with the fixes in the pipeline. Rust was added to Modern Warfare as part of their Season Two content, and long-time fans of the franchise have been flooding the Call of Duty servers, as they revel in the nostalgia of MW2. Infinity Ward clocked Rust’s popularity among the masses and so they treated fans to a dedicated one-versus-one playlist — giving players the opportunity to settle any long-standing feuds once and for all! Even though Rust has been the hottest map in rotation since its introduction on February 11, there have been plenty of snags that players have been demanding a fix for. The Modern Warfare subreddit has been inundated with Rust-related issues, from spawning complaints to people dropping frames on certain areas of the map. Now Infinity Ward have confirmed that they’re working on a fix for the notorious Tactical Insertion glitch, and a bug where players have been getting a drop in frame-rate when climbing the Center Tower. According to the Modern Warfare Tracker, Infinity Ward are working on “frame rate issues when climbing the Center Tower on Rust.” Alongside the FPS bug, the developers are looking at fixing the Tactical Insertion issues where “placing a Tac Insert in certain locations on Rust can spawn the player in a different location.” Fans of the popular map will no doubt be pleased to see that there is an upcoming hotfix for the issues that have been plaguing Rust since its return to the Modern Warfare series. According to Infinity Ward’s Tracker, players can also expect a number of other fixes in forthcoming updates, such as the pistol animation glitch when climbing a ladder and a few tweaks to the recently introduced ‘Regiment’ feature.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare’s spawn system complaints – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare’s spawn system complaints Infinity WardInfinity Ward have responded to complaints from Call of Duty fans regarding Modern Warfare’s spawn system, which has caused issues throughout the second beta weekend. Modern Warfare’s final beta period is drawing to a close, with players hopping into their last few games hoping to get a taste of things to come when the full game launches in October, and help Infinity Ward iron out any issues before fans get their hands on the title. One of those problems according to beta players is the spawn system, with many heading to the /r/ModernWarfare subreddit to voice their annoyance at the current state of respawning. In a post uploaded by /u/Finesse141, he claimed he had just receieved the “Guinness World Record for the worst spawn in MW beta so far, including a clip to show what he had just witnessed. In a game of Domination, the player tried to defend the B flag, but got sniped for his efforts. Upon respawning, it’s fairly usual to pop up surrounded by your teammates, but for /u/Finesse141, he was met by a barrage of opponents, who promptly fired their weapons and sent him packing for the second time in mere seconds. While the player was clearly upset, Infinity Ward have confirmed that they are aware of the frustrations surrounding the system, and plan to address them before the game’s full release on October 25. In a comment left on the post, the development team’s Senior Communications Manager Ashton ‘ashonisVULCAN’ Williams stated: “Yeah, spawns are getting some love before launch,” before thanking the player for their video. What form those changes will take once Infinity Ward gets their hands back on Modern Warfare remain to be seen, but fans will be hopeful that instances like this, where they spawn surrounded by their opponent with no chance to react, will be a thing of the past. The purpose of multiplayer betas are to aid in the final stages of development, so while it may be frustrating, finding these problems now will likely mean they are less prevalent when the game is released on Friday, October 25.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare’s completely broken gun variants – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare’s completely broken gun variants Infinity Ward have responded to various issues around the new gun variants added to Modern Warfare for Season One, confirming that fixes are on the way. Season One of Modern Warfare kicked off on December 3, and launched the first battle pass for the game, alongside a boatload of new content and maps. The highlight of the cosmetic content was the new gun variants, officially called ‘Blueprints’, which significantly alter the look of the gun, without any stat changes (other than those afforded by attachments). However, players quickly found that these variants were completely broken, as after being equipped on the weapon in the menu, the new look of the weapon simply didn’t appear in-game. The issue appears to be affecting four variants in particular: Heat Cycle (MP5), Smooth Dominator (FAL) Jack Frosty (FN SCAR), and Old Wounds (M91). One player gave a perfect example of the problem, showing that after the variant is equipped, the weapon still looks like its old boring self in-game. Thankfully, Infinity Ward are on the case already and have confirmed a fix is inbound. On Reddit, a developer confirmed that they would be rolling out a fix for all four of the broken variants (Heat Cycle, Smooth Dominator, Jack Frosty and Old Wounds) “with the next update.” Comment byu/dietkush from discussion inmodernwarfare Unfortunately, there’s no exact date given as to when exactly this next update will be. So far, since launching Modern Warfare on October 25, updates have been at least weekly, and sometimes multiple times a week for smaller patches. Hopefully, there won’t be a long wait for this and other fixes, such as stuttering issues that some PC players have reported following the big Season One update. It’s common for updates, especially big ones, to unintentionally create new bugs while attempting to fix old ones, due to the nature of code. Infinity Ward will no doubt be working to fix any new and existing bugs, and clearly have their ears to the ground with complaints and reports coming in on social media. However, some common complaints from the community, such as the supposed ‘Skill-based matchmaking‘ and the inability to vote for certain maps, still go unanswered by the developers, leading to continued frustration among players who are demanding a response.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare visibility complaints – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare visibility complaints ActivisionA developer from Infinity Ward has responded to the infamous issue of impaired visibility in Modern Warfare, which could be a promising sign for players. Despite Modern Warfare’s gripping multiplayer framework, there have numerous hurdles that Infinity Ward have had to jump over since launch. One prevalent obstacle has been the reduced visibility which players experience. From the curbed visuals in Azhir Cave, to being impaired by seemingly random artistic effects, players have been crying out for some changes. Now, however, it appears that a visual developer at Infinity Ward may have shed some light on the issue, when responding to a comment on the Modern Warfare subreddit. When asked whether “the haze and visibility limitation [is] part of the game’s intended aesthetics?” the dev stated that the “goal is to render an immersive physically based, lit environment. Its’ a case by case, level by level.” Another fan weighed in by requesting for the visual effects to be “toned down” because they “hamper visibility at times.” In response to the player’s plea, the Infinity Ward dev simply acknowledged their request by stating that they “definitely hear” the appeal to improve visibility. With the Call of Duty League starting on January 24, Infinity Ward already have plenty on their plate. Nonetheless, a major update is due on January 22, so stay tuned with Dexerto for patch notes on what has been changed as and when the update is pushed live.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare bug trapping players in a rock – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare bug trapping players in a rock Infinity Ward/ActivisionInfinity Ward’s communication manager Ashton Williams has acknowledged a peculiar glitch where players are spawning in a literal rock face in Modern Warfare’s Ground War mode. While Modern Warfare has paved the way in terms of its season-based content strategy, it has also been littered with numerous bugs since its release. From numerous spawn issues to chairs literally killing you, players have seen it all. Spawning on the edge of a rock face is just the latest bizarre glitch players are facing. Posted to the Modern Warfare subreddit, a player uploaded a clip of several teams from the same squad spawning on the rocky terrain of Karst River Quarry. After spawning on the edge of the cliff, players were bound to the inside of rock face by the shackles of an invisible wall — leaving the teams were stranded outside of the map. The clip caught the attention of Ashton Williams, who simply replied: “Appreciate the video. Sent over to the right folks just now.” Another user attempted to explain the problem, explaining “Someone moved a spawn and forgot to put it back [or] yet another easy to get into wall glitch.” Given Williams’ swift response in passing on the bizarre bug over to the required team, it is likely Infinity Ward will have a hotfix lined up for the glitch shortly. Ground War has been plagued by bugs, the most recent of which – a one-way ‘bullet proof’ room on Tavorsk District – caused uproar among the community. While Infinity Ward have historically been quick to respond to glitches on the subreddit, there is no sign of either glitch being patched on the Modern Warfare tracker. It goes without saying that until both Ground War maps are working as intended, it’s probably worthwhile throwing yourself into another playlist.

  • Infinity Ward respond to one of Modern Warfare’s biggest complaints – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to one of Modern Warfare’s biggest complaints Infinity Ward/PlaystationDevelopers at Infinity Ward have responded to negative feedback over a visual feature of Modern Warfare’s, that differs from previous Call of Duty titles. The Modern Warfare Beta took place over consecutive weekends in September and received generally positive feedback from the majority of the community. Players praised the game for its killstreaks, feel and return to many aspects of what made CoD so popular. However, as is to be expected with the release of a new title, the community identified a number of features they are unsure of, particularly features that break from the established Call of Duty formula. Among others, one visual change made has proved unpopular. It is typical in Call of Duty games for a player’s screen to turn red when they take damage from gunfire, falling or explosives. It is generally used as an indicator of how much health the player has left – particularly important prior to health levels being shown on screen (as they were in Black Ops 4). However, this visual mechanic has been altered in Modern Warfare, so a player’s screen turns black and white when they suffer considerable damage, instead of the usual red. This has proved unpopular with players, who argue it simply reduces visibility to the point of being unable to stand a chance in the gunfight. However, Infinity Ward don’t appear to be considering changes anytime soon. Infinity Ward replied to Reddit u/sw3ar, who said that they want the “OG” red screen back. Studio Art Director at Infinity Ward, Joel Emslie, replied that it shows how “important the shift from the desaturated vision to color vision is. It informs gameplay. Tells you how close you are to death.” He also argued that using stim equipment will help to reduce the effects of the color desaturation, essentially making it a more viable piece of equipment. Emslie finished by explaining that it is designed to indicate when a player can rechallenge, based on the health they have. However, this was challenged by Reddit users who argued this is also done with the old red graphics, but Emslie did not respond further. Read More: Full list of Modern Warfare game modes – Despite the community’s complaints, it doesn’t seem like Infinity Ward are planning on changing the new feature anytime soon. But, with roughly a month to go until Modern Warfare drops, we could still see a few changes made to the build of the game players got their hands on during the beta.

  • Infinity Ward respond to criticism over Modern Warfare communication – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to criticism over Modern Warfare communication Joel Emslie, Art Director at Infinity Ward, has responded to community criticism over the developer’s poor communication, acknowledging that they need to improve for the remainder of Modern Warfare’s life cycle. Since Modern Warfare’s release at the end of October, few aspects of the game have been criticized as much as Infinity Ward’s communication. They have refused to comment on the ongoing SBMM debate, as well as shunning feedback on certain game features, like footsteps. Criticism for Infinity Ward intensified when it became clear they that they had been omitting certain adjustments from the patch notes. This was widely condemned by the CoD community, including by YouTuber Drift0r. In a series of replies from early January, Emslie defended the role of his colleague Ashton Williams, who has long been the Community Manager at Infinity Ward. She has been criticized by some players for not being as open and communicative as many feel she should be. In response, Emslie said that Williams is “doing a phenomenal job” as Community Manager, and it’s his luxury that he is able to drop into the subreddit from time to time. He concluded that Williams works “to the best of her ability within some really really tough constraints. She does a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes that is never seen by the community.” Comment byu/PavilionParty from discussion inmodernwarfare In a second post, Emslie acknowledged that, despite the efforts of Infinity Ward’s Communications team, they are doing their best to improve the way in which they interact with and update the Modern Warfare community. “I would like to ask everyone in the community to give my co-workers a lot more respect in the area of comms,” he said. “Everyone is working as hard as they can and doing a phenomenal job.” Comment byu/CarbonatedNut from discussion inmodernwarfare He concluded by saying: “I do think and none of us would argue, that we need to find better ways to get the community information about the game. We are working on it and with anything this big there’s always room for improvement.” While Emslie did not delve into specifics, it sounds as if Infinity Ward are doing their best to improve the communication between developer and community. Regardless, they stress that respectful feedback is welcome, and aggressive, abusive posts will merely worsen the situation.

  • Infinity Ward respond to crazy ‘teleport’ glitch in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to crazy ‘teleport’ glitch in Modern Warfare Infinity Ward, developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have responded to a bizarre glitch with Tactical Insertions, which seems to teleport players outside the map, where they are forced to wait for death. Following the release of Modern Warfare on October 25, players have been encouraged to publicize any glitches or bugs they find. New releases, for obvious reasons, are often fraught with minor bugs and inconsistencies, as well as players giving their feedback on what needs adjusting. Developers often seek players’ help in identifying the most acute bugs, that require quick patches to resolve. One such bug has surfaced via Reddit, which sees Tactical Insertions teleport players outside of the map. Tactical Insertions have been in and out of Call of Duty titles for many years now, allowing players – in place of a tactical or lethal grenade – to nominate a map position where they will next respawn. Read More: Atlanta FaZe CoD team announces star roster – However, Reddit user ‘radi115’ appears to have found a bizarre glitch which sees them teleported out of the map when they respawn. The player is mid-game, and crouches behind a rover vehicle to place their Tactical Insertion. They are swiftly killed by an enemy but proceed to spawn outside the map, commencing the ‘Restricted Area’ death countdown that has been present in recent CoD titles. They are killed, but continue to spawn outside the map, launching a death-cycle. The glitch garnered a lot of attention – upwards of 1,000 upvotes on Reddit – as players sought to make the post more visible to Infinity Ward staff. Luckily Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, picked up on the glitch and replied: “Thanks for this. We have never seen this in-house. We’ll get a fix in soon.” The response suggests that the bug evaded Infinity Ward playtesters, reinforcing the need for players to relay bugs back to developers upon the release of a new title. Some Reddit users suggested it was caused by placing the Tac Insert so close to a vehicle, but others replied claiming they had experienced a similar bug after placing their equipment in an open space. Given Cecot’s response, it seems likely we’ll see the problem sorted in an upcoming patch, particularly given the seriousness of the issue.

  • Infinity Ward respond to complaints about slow Warzone matchmaking – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to complaints about slow Warzone matchmaking Infinity WardCall of Duty Warzone developers Infinity Ward have finally responded to complaints about the long matchmaking process in-game, confirming that a fix is on the way. Now, that’s not the first time that players of the popular battle royale game will have heard about a potential resolution, either. Following previous complains about waiting times in the menus, fixes have been mentioned before. In fact, back on May 1 it was noted by Activision Support that the issue had finally been addressed, although what players were seeing in-game was more of the same in terms of long queues – leading to further frustration. Days later, following persistent matchmaking issues in Warzone, one member of the community reached out to Joe Cecot, Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director of Multiplayer. Twitter user Guy Chandler said: “Is a fix for this one the way? Been stuck on this for about 10 mins now,” along with a clip of the problem. “You guys claimed you fixed it but that clearly wasn’t the case. Hope you get this fixed sooner than later.” Not long after, Cecot came back to him with what will be a positive response for fans. “Problem identified. Working on a fix,” he said. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1257348783932932099?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1257348783932932099&ref_url=httpscharlieintel.comfix-for-extended-matchmaking-times-in-modern-warfare-and-warzone-coming60466 Players now have confirmation that the dev team is working on a solution, and hopefully, it won’t take long for the fix to roll out in a future update. Cecot, however, didn’t put a timeframe on when we can expect to see things change in Warzone. This isn’t the only bug to have been noted of late, either, with some experiencing in-game voice chat problems as well. This, too, has been identified as a work in progress where a fix is concerned – according to the game’s Trello board. With Infinity Ward rolling out weekly updates for Modern Warfare, we could expect to see both issues resolved shortly and when they are, we’ll be the first to let you know.

  • Infinity Ward respond to broken self-revive bug in Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to broken self-revive bug in Warzone ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone developers Infinity Ward has responded to player demands to fix a major in-game issue which is preventing players from using their self-revive. Modern Warfare’s March 26 update brought a number of changes to Infinity Ward’s title, including a brand-new multiplayer map and a plethora of changes that have been implemented into their Battle Royale mode. Yet following the update, players have reported a number of issues, including a game-breaking glitch which is granting players the ability to pick-up weapons in the Gulag. However, perhaps more importantly, there is a widespread surge in players reporting issues with self-revive to the Warzone subreddit, after Infinity Ward pushed their latest update live. According to player accounts, they are unable to use their Self-Revive Kit once they are gunned down, meaning that they are either sent straight to the Gulag or eliminated entirely. And per one Redditor’s post, Infinity Ward are all too aware of the bug-in-question and are working on rolling out a hotfix for it. “I just bugged this. We’re looking into [this],” a member of Infinity Ward’s team replied. A number of players also commented in the thread with similar accounts, with one explaining that they ran into a problem when attempting to revive their teammate. “I was also unable to revive a teammate in the second to last circle, not sure what the circumstances were. Tapping and holding both would not work.” Another player outlined the same self-revive issue in a separate post — highlighting their immediate elimination, where the game appears to skip the opportunity to self-revive. As per Infinity Ward’s Issue Tracker, the developers are looking into a bug where “players are unable to use self revive when playing Battle Royale solos,” alongside looking into the teammate revival problem that one user described above. Given the snowballed popularity of Warzone in events such as Warzone Wednesdays and Twitch Rivals, Infinity Ward will likely be looking to patch up the aforementioned bugs as soon as possible.

  • Infinity Ward respond to broken Riot Shield bug in Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to broken Riot Shield bug in Warzone Infinity WardJoe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has responded to a bizarre glitch in Warzone, that allows enemies to shoot straight through a player’s Riot Shield. A game as expansive as Call of Duty: Warzone is bound to have its fair share of bugs and inconsistencies. Some, however, are more than minor, and can break the way the game is meant to function. Riot Shields in Warzone are controversial, with some arguing they should not be present because of the negative play-styles they encourage. However, Infinity Ward have given no indication of removing them, but it does look like they’ll have to make a patch to deal with an emergent bug. The glitch was tweeted by ‘TheseKnivesOnly‘ on June 26. The attached clip shows the player crouched in a corner with a Riot Shield in front of them. An enemy then rounds the corner and opens fire, dealing damage despite the player’s Riot Shield being equipped. Read More: Best M4A1 loadouts for Call of Duty: Warzone – It’s when the killcam is viewed, however, that the extent of the glitch becomes clear. The enemy’s POV shows the player with a Riot Shield on their back, despite it definitely being equipped. Hence, the player with the Riot Shield can be shot but cannot do any shooting. Thankfully, Joe Cecot was on hand to respond and reassure Riot Shield mains that they will be investigating, with a fix hopefully coming soon. “We’ll have a look at this,” Cecot replied. Cecot’s response was well-received on Twitter, with the user thanking him for the swift reply. A few Twitter users, however, joked that Riot Shields should be left with the glitch to discourage players from using them. As much as Riot Shields can frustrate players, Infinity Ward will aim for a swift patch to the game-breaking issue. It could well be fixed in the mid-Season 4 update, which has already been confirmed to feature a nerf to the Grau. There is no confirmed date for the mid-season update, but we expect it to drop around Tuesday, July 9. We will of course provide exhaustive patch notes when the update drops in-game.

  • Infinity Ward respond to ‘broken’ Ghost perk in Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to ‘broken’ Ghost perk in Warzone Infinity WardModern Warfare and Warzone developers Infinity Ward have responded to players after a glitch with the Ghost perk was found. Warzone has become increasingly popular since its release in April with millions of players dropping into Verdansk in hopes of seeing that elusive Victory cutscene. Custom loadouts can play a massive part in succeeding on Warzone, as it allows players to switch up their weapons and perks mid-game, to be prepared for whatever situation arises. One of the key perks that has been used by many players in the popular battle royale mode is Ghost, which helps to fly under-the-radar when a UAV is used nearby, giving a significant advantage in Warzone when playing cautiously. The Ghost perk also protects players from opponents who are equipped with a heartbeat sensor or personal radars in multiplayer game modes, making it harder for others to track them in-game. However, unlike the multiplayer version of Ghost, Warzone players discovered that they were visible on the killcams of enemies, that were using heartbeat sensors, and it left many confused as to what the perk actually did. Ghost “working as intended” Infinity Ward has now responded to the ‘broken’ perk with a notice on their community Trello board, informing fans that Ghost was actually working as intended in Warzone and that players were not as safe as they have previously expected. “Ghost not protecting against Heartbeat Sensor – This is working as intended but showing incorrectly in the killcams. A fix for the killcam is coming in a future update,” IW revealed in a post. Although they did explain that there is an issue with how the perk would display on Heartbeat sensors in killcams, and this bug was likely causing much of the confusion. Related – How Two Rivals Pushed Call of Duty to Greatness: They also shared that a solution was currently being worked on for the unusual bug, but as of now, it is unclear when exactly the killcam glitch will be fixed on live servers.

  • Infinity Ward respond to broken AS VAL wallbangs in Warzone Season 6 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to broken AS VAL wallbangs in Warzone Season 6 Infinity Ward[jwplayer br5AuoVJ] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 introduced a new assault rifle to the game, the AS VAL, but the reign of terror caused by its wallbangs is coming to an end, as Infinity Ward have confirmed the bugged penetration is being fixed in a later update. When equipped with SPP 10-R mags, CoD’s newest AR, the AS VAL, essentially enjoys turbo-charged FMJ as its bullets can penetrate multiple walls, including some surfaces that normal guns struggle to get through just one of. While not committed to calling it a bug or simply an overpowered attachment, Infinity Ward have confirmed that it is an issue they will soon be addressing. Within five days of Modern Warfare and Warzone’s sixth season launching, a variety of clips have surfaced, along with a bevy of complaints, surrounding the AS VAL’s absurd capacity to kill people its crosshairs literally can’t see. On multiplayer maps, where players are more likely to experiment with lower magazine sizes, the 10-round SPP Mags have caused absolute havoc. The best revenge kill EVER? This new AR’s wallbangs are crazy.. pic.twitter.com/lxQByort2E— Garrett // Bloo (@FaZeBloo) October 3, 2020 As shown in a clip from FaZe Clan’s Bloo, he gets killed through a wall, respawns, and is able to exact his revenge by firing a single bullet through what appears to be an entire house. He’s not firing through one thin wall, but guessing where his opponent is based on where he was killed from earlier, and eliminating them with one 103-meter long shot to the head and through what must be multiple wooden walls of one house. And that moment is not an exception to normalcy, it is the gun’s current state of affairs. Since the AS VAL’s normal bullets feature lower penetration than most assault rifles, the SPP attachment counteracts that, but to too far an extent. Fortunately, Infinity Ward have confirmed on their Trello board that this is a “known issue” and will be “fixed in a future update.” hey guys @InfinityWard, i think you should probably fix the AS VAL… pic.twitter.com/w6PDzYsRA1 — Scotty (@fourzer0seven) October 2, 2020 In the clip above, two players are seen notching triple kills on each other’s teams from the start of a round without moving from spawn. Both simply shoot directly forward and their shots fly through whatever is in their way. The player base has understandably been confused, so it is a positive sign that, while not confirming whether it’s a bug or simply an over-turned attachment situation, IW is looking to fix the attachment. No date has been set for the update in which this broken penetration will be tweaked, nor exactly how it will be adjusted. But, at the very least, it’s good to know walls will soon be able to provide cover once again.

  • Infinity Ward respond to bizarre Warzone Superstore money glitch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to bizarre Warzone Superstore money glitch ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Modern Warfare devs have responded to a bizarre Warzone glitch that is giving players unlimited stacks cash inside of Superstore. Since it launched back in March, Warzone has been a huge success for Call of Duty – with new players flocking to the unique battle royale for a taste of what Verdansk has to offer. Despite the immense success, it hasn’t been completely smooth sailing for Warzone. Players have had games completely ruined by the demon gun glitch, found themselves being able to ‘wallhack’ because buildings haven’t loaded, and even been tossed into the Gulag without even fighting an enemy. In recent days, though, players who decide to start off at Superstore have been getting a helping hand from the game as they’ve been able to pick up ridiculous stacks of cash. If you haven’t dropped into Superstore, what’s been happening is that players have been able to pick up the Plunder duffle bags of cash instead of the usual stacks that they’d find in Warzone. For some reason, this only happens at Superstore and players can end up with more money than they’ll ever need for a normal Warzone game – meaning they can stock up on killstreaks, loadout drops, and more. The devs have taken note of this bug by opening a ticket and having it labeled as ‘in progress’ on their public Trello board which means that they’re attempting to find a fix. Given that the money being found at Superstore is in the same bags as Plunder, it seems as if a loose bit of code has wriggled free and crossed the streams, so it might not be that long of a wait until Infinity Ward fixes it. Until then, Superstore is likely to be an even hotter drop than usual as players try to scoop up the duffle bags of cash, so you might want to leave it alone.

  • Infinity Ward respond to bizarre Modern Warfare Finishing Move glitch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to bizarre Modern Warfare Finishing Move glitch A developer from Infinity Ward has acknowledged that a fix is in the works for a peculiar bug with Modern Warfare’s Finishing Move animation. Modern Warfare is no stranger to uncanny bugs. Since the game’s release, Infinity Ward have rolled out numerous patches in a bid to fix the plethora of glitches that have been spoiling players’ online experience. However, despite the developer’s best efforts, more issues continue to surface. Ironically, the latest issue is associated with a brand-new feature in the Call of Duty franchise, Finishing Moves. Finishing Moves provide a different, yet satisfying means of dispatching your foe in Call of Duty. With each Operator boasting their own unique set of moves, players can customize to their heart’s content. Each Operator has their own signature method. For example, Charly favors a baton, while Minotaur prefers brute strength in close-quarters engagements. Despite the satisfaction that comes with taking out your enemy through via the stealthy means of a Finishing Move, the action is sometimes hindered by a bug which cancels the animation. Reddit user ‘Average-Genius’ highlighted an occasion which showcased just that. After getting behind enemy lines, the player crouch-walked their way up to their unsuspecting enemy and executed the Finishing Move… or did they? Average-Genius was caught with their pants down as their Finishing Move animation canceled mid-way through, which provided their enemy with the perfect opportunity to retaliate. After the foe managed to cheat death, they capitalized on the blunder by tea-bagging Average-Genius — a victory dance to rub extra salt into the wound. Given the obvious unintended nature of the bug, an Infinity Ward developer responded to the post.“We are digging into this,” the dev opened. Fixing as soon as possible.” At the time of writing, however, the issue is yet to appear on the Infinity Ward Tracker, where the developers highlight everything that they’re working on. Given that a variety of challenges revolve around the Finishing Move, players will be hoping that an intermittent issue of this nature is patched sooner rather than later.

  • Infinity Ward respond to outrage over Modern Warfare Survival mode – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to outrage over Modern Warfare Survival mode Infinity WardInfinity Ward have addressed upset fans following fury when it was announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Special Ops ‘Survival mode’ will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 until October 2020. During Sony’s State of Play broadcast on September 24, it was announced that Survival Mode would be exclusive to the PS4 for an entire year, prompting anger from Call of Duty fans on PC and Xbox who felt they were losing out on a significant part of the game. Now, Infinity Ward have moved to calm those concerns, explaining that regular Special Ops missions will be available on all platforms from launch, and that the PlayStation-exclusive Survival is just a small portion of the overall mode. In a post on Reddit, Infinity Ward released a statement explaining that they understood that fans of the long-running first-person shooter franchise had “questions,” and wanted to clarify the situation. “To be clear, our all-new Special Ops mode will be releasing on all platforms on October 25,” the developers explained. “When we launch on October 25, everyone on all platforms will be getting Modern Warfare which includes Campaign, the all-new Special Ops mode, and the entirety of Multiplayer, which is a massive experience we’ve worked to create.” “Special Ops Survival is an additional, classic mode that will be available on PS4.” For those excited to see more of Special Ops, Infinity Ward confirmed that they’ll be revealing the mode on Tuesday, October 8, giving fans a sneak peek at what they can expect when they get their hands on the game, which sees the popular Modern Warfare franchise return to CoD for the first time since 2011. While the developers may have moved to ease concerns regarding Survival mode, there are still some fans angered by an apparent leak which suggests that weapons will be placed into Supply Drops in-game, meaning players can get an advantage over others by opening a case and striking lucky with its contents. Players have already had an opportunity to test out the Multiplayer aspect of the game thanks to the open beta weekends, while the developers gave fans a look at the Campaign by releasing the trailer on September 24. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release worldwide on Friday, October 25.

  • Infinity Ward respond as Modern Warfare crashes Xbox One consoles – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond as Modern Warfare crashes Xbox One consoles Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players on Xbox One X are reporting that the game is causing their console to crash. The latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise launched on October 25, returning fans to arguably the most game’s most popular sub-series, Modern Warfare. For some players, however, it sounds like the launch has been a frustrating experience, as there appears to be an issue that can cause Xbox One X consoles to crash. Exactly what causes the bug isn’t entirely clear, although some players are reporting that it seems to occur when they get shot – which, of course, makes the game almost entirely unplayable. In addition to crashes related to being shot, Reddit user AlludingIllusion stated that they have also experienced the issue when trying to make a recording, and at the end of a match. Fortunately, Infinity Ward have already acknowledged the bug and announced they’re working on a fix, so hopefully it shouldn’t be too long before this issue is addressed. We are seeing a small number of Xbox One X players experience crashes with Modern Warfare. We are already working on a fix. Thanks for your patience and feedback. We will keep you posted. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) October 25, 2019 This isn’t the only technical issue that has hit the game on its release day. Shortly after the launch, some players found themselves unable to connect to the online servers, which Activision stated was an issue related to the massive volume of players loading into the game at launch. The server issue has now been resolved, although neither Activision nor Infinity Ward have yet provided an update on the Xbox One X crashing issue. Modern Warfare is a return to a more classic Call of Duty feel in more than just the title, with the game’s mechanics and pacing more closely resembling the original Modern Warfare trilogy than the variations on advanced movement and powerful specialist abilities that have been common in recent years. On the competitive side, however, Modern Warfare will also break new ground for the series, with the introduction of the franchised Call of Duty League marking a major shift in the structure of the professional circuit.

  • Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare bug giving players zero XP – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to Modern Warfare bug giving players zero XP Developers have responded after an ugly bug reared its head in Modern Warfare, and at the worst possible time, as some players’ double XP event is being ruined by an error granting them zero XP after a match. Double XP began on Christmas Eve for the holiday period, but some players are getting double of nothing, as their match XP is amounting to zero. Numerous players have reported getting the frustrating bug on December 26 and 27, showing their post-match summary with a grand total of 0 XP, prompting a response from Infinity Ward’s community manager. For some players, the bug extended beyond just XP, as camo and mission progress were also halted in their post-match summary, with a slew of complaints appearing on Reddit and social media. On December 26, Ashton Williams, Senior Communications Manager at Infinity Ward, confirmed via Reddit that the team are “poking around” to see why this major issue is affecting players. It appears that they are yet to pinpoint the cause of the bug, so there’s no fix forthcoming at the time of writing. Perhaps even more frustrating, is that the bug can even affect players’ battle pass progression. This is also supposed to be earned at double the normal rate during the holiday event. This kind of progression glitch is new for Modern Warfare, but we’ve seen similar issues in other multiplayer titles like Apex Legends, caused by an error in connecting the player’s account to the main server where their data is stored. Whenever a solution is found, players will be hoping that any progress that was missed can be reinstated retrospectively. But, it’s unknown if this will be possible. If you’re experiencing the glitch in Modern Warfare yourself, you might want to avoid going for any camos or mission challenges for the time being.

  • Infinity Ward respond to concerns over cosmetic items in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward respond to concerns over cosmetic items in Modern Warfare Infinity Ward / TreyarchDevelopers of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward, have teased their plans for post-launch content in the game, as fans express concerns about past titles. The studio is gearing up for the multiplayer reveal event on August 1, which will show off the game’s most anticipated mode in full for the first time. As the game itself is aiming for unparalleled realism compared to previous Call of Duty titles, there is a concern that post-launch content will break the immersion by adding items which don’t fit with the them of a realistic, gritty, military shooter. These concerns are well-founded of course, as even Call of Duty: WWII, which at first portrayed a gritty or ‘visceral’ theme depicting the horrors of the second world war, eventually added in content that didn’t exactly fit within that theme. There is no doubt that there will be DLC and microtransaction content in Modern Warfare too, but Infinity Ward will have to find a balance between exciting cosmetics, and keeping the theme of the game intact. When a fan requested that the game avoid “pink, rainbow, glowing, random unrealistic skins for our character”, Infinity Ward’s art director Joel Emslie shut down the suggestion immediately, confirming it would all be “realistic and relevant.” The fan highlighted Black Ops 4 as the primary culprit of adding in immersion breaking content for the sake of exciting cosmetics. This stuff is so annoying in Black Ops 4 and every CoD that had it,” Reddit user u/Zerogws explained, “Black Ops 4 was so much better on release. I remember it feeling more tactical and boom now we have pink guys running around or glowing skins and flashy guns.” Black Ops 4 has been criticized heavily for its microtransaction system in general, with a mixture of a Fortnite-like battle pass mixed with supply drops too, called ‘Reserve Cases’. According to one estimation, it would cost a player over $1,000 to acquire every cosmetic in the game. With so much content released for Black Ops 4, Modern Warfare will have to balance the demands of players who want more cosmetics and those who want to ensure the game’s aesthetic isn’t sacrificed.

  • Infinity Ward removes armored trucks from Warzone, with a catch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward removes armored trucks from Warzone, with a catch Infinity WardDevelopers at Infinity Ward and Raven Software have finally addressed the powerful vehicle-heavy meta in Warzone by removing armored trucks. Though, the change comes with a catch that may upset dedicated players. Since its release on March 10, Warzone players have come to grips with a meta largely dominated by vehicles. In the month that has followed, RPGs and C4 have become staples in custom loadouts just to make it through until the final zone. Infinity Ward and Raven Software have finally issued a change that could soon spell the end of the vehicle meta, although the latest hotfix comes with a major caveat. Only Solos will be affected. Big Warzone change on April 14 Following an April 14 update that changed the available Warzone playlists, Solos, Scopes and Scatter Gun Trios, and Quads became the standard modes. However, just hours after the patch went live across all platforms however, Warzone has been hit with another hotfix that specifically targets vehicular combat. “We pulled out the big Armored Trucks from the solo playlist,” Raven Software Creative Director Amos Hodge outlined. “Hopefully that tones downs the vehicle meta a bit.” While there was no mention of any vehicle-specific adjustments for the other available playlists, the most controversial vehicle has been outright pulled from just Solos competition. We pulled out the big Armored Trucks from the solo playlist. Hopefully that tones downs the vehicle meta a bit. #Warzone — Amos Hodge (@wendellwobble) April 15, 2020 Could an overall vehicle nerf be next in Warzone? It’s clear that problematic vehicles are a top priority for the Warzone development teams, as such a quick pivot came just hours after the latest playlists were updated. Also aware of the “vehicle meta” in Warzone, this initial change to Solos could be the first domino to fall in more updates to come for Duos, Trios, and Quads as well. Undeniably, one of the biggest talking points throughout the first month of the free to play title, this update is sure to please those that grind alone. Though, players that often team up with others, are still going to face the same armored trucks each and every game for the time being. Perhaps a more widespread change is on the horizon as both Infinity Ward and Raven Software appear eager to strike a new balance. One less factor to consider while on-foot, solo players will now only have to worry about ATVs, SUVs, and Tactical Rovers running them over. No longer will armored trucks spoil the fun in that particular playlist. From new Warzone modes to fresh cosmetics, you can get a full rundown on the April 14 update thanks to our full overview.

  • Infinity Ward release 4K gameplay of Modern Warfare Multiplayer, and it looks incredible – Dexerto

Infinity Ward release 4K gameplay of Modern Warfare Multiplayer, and it looks incredible ActivisionGunfight, the upcoming 2v2 mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, has already been revealed to us by streamers, but we’re just now getting our first look at it in action in 4K and it looks amazing. There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Modern Warfare, Call of Duty’s return to what revolutionized the series, and Gunfight has been a big part of that so far. Infinity Ward decided to keep the ball rolling with the raw gameplay of the mode, taking place on the Pine map, in its full 4K resolution glory. The nearly six-minute video shows the incredibly designed environment and how smooth the game looks and runs with the new engine. This footage was captured on a PS4 Pro, showing that despite the threat of a new console looming, the current model is more than able to show off impressive visuals all while boasting a solid 60 FPS. A smooth framerate has always been a staple of a good Call of Duty experience and that is no different here. However, with this just being a 2v2 mode that’s to be expected, but that’s not all that’s coming with the new title. Infinity Ward says Gunfight is the tip of the iceberg and fans will be learning a whole lot more about what the upcoming title has in store during the multiplayer gameplay reveal on August 1. Early reactions to the new title have been positive so far, despite the little information that we know. Gunfight has been a success for far but Infinity Ward still has more up their sleeve. The big draw to Black Ops 4 was the addition of the Blackout battle royale mode, but we don’t yet know if Modern Warfare will be keeping the ball rolling with a BR mode of its own. We hope the majority of the questions we currently have will be answered with the full reveal in August.

  • Infinity Ward provide update on killfeed fixes coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward provide update on killfeed fixes coming to Modern Warfare Joe Cecot, Infinity Ward’s Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, has provided an update on when fans can expect long-anticipated killfeed fixes to be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Since its October 25 release, fans have quickly identified the aspects of Modern Warfare they want to see adjusted. The CoD community has taken issue with the game’s complex map designs, the absence of prestiging and supposed SBMM. However, while many of these suggestions come down to personal opinion, one aspect of the game that is objectively flawed is the killfeed. Fans have noticed that the killfeed will randomly omit lines, as well as sometimes duplicating them. The killfeed, or obituary as it is sometimes referred to, has already undergone changes in Modern Warfare. At the end of November, Infinity Ward adjusted the killfeed to remove messages about players ranking up and ‘avenging’ teammates, after players complained it was unnecessary. On December 22, Joe Cecot confirmed that changes are on their way to fix the killfeed, following Infinity Ward’s identification of the issue. He explained that the “fix just missed the last major update due to review. It’s coming after the holiday.” https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1208893593911349248?s=20 The Modern Warfare community has criticized Infinity Ward over their communication (or lack thereof) regarding changes to their game. There has even been speculation that Infinity Ward are omitting changes from official patch notes. The delay to killfeed fixes was something that had been criticized, but Cecot’s response will calm fan frustrations. He even apologized in a subsequent tweet, explaining that he wanted the adjusted implemented sooner. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1208894896662122497?s=20 While Cecot responded to the enquiry regarding the obituary, Infinity Ward and Activision have remained silent on a number of controversial aspects of Modern Warfare, such as the widely-held belief that skill-based matchmaking is key in the game’s matchmaking algorithm. However, following Cecot’s tweets, we can expect to see the killfeed fixed in the days following Christmas, probably before the New Year.

  • Infinity Ward developers share the modes and a new “dynamic” coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward developers share the modes and a new “dynamic” coming to Modern Warfare Infinity WardCall of Duty experiences to date with the help of a “reimagining” to the franchise that will introduce a new dynamic to Modern Warfare. The developers for the title showed up at E3 on June 9 to break down what players should expect in their upcoming game including a more intimate battleground, a different perspective to combat and more. Though fans have grown accustomed to hearing the ground-breaking efforts year after year about the new Call of Duty titles, the developers pushed an entirely new focus in their livestream interview that might give Modern Warfare a different feel. “No greatest hits, we want to do something that feels new.” The game is going to feature a two-sided approach to its storytelling that will focus on completely different factions: Tier-1 Special Operation forces and the Rebel Freedom Fighters fighters. The two will not only have different arsenals that are more in line with what their real-life counterparts would be equipped with, it will also change the perspective of the combat by painting war in two whole unique brushes. “For the first time, you’ll be playing as Tier One Special Operation forces but also as rebel freedom fighters,” Design Director Jacob Minkoff said. “When you’re playing as Tier One you got all the best tech toys. You got night-vision goggles, and the best guns and you can call in airstrikes. But when you’re playing as freedom fighters, you’re the underdog… You have to use ambush tactics, guerrilla tactics. It creates a completely different type of dynamic in combat.” With that said, the developers also hinted that the Call of Duty experience will focus on a more “consistent universe for the entirety of the game.” Meaning the “rules are all the same” across every mode. What modes will be in Modern Warfare? Keeping that theme in mind, the Infinity Ward developers revealed what modes their fans should expect to release with the game. As tradition, there will be Single-Player and Multiplayer, but fans will be thrilled to hear that Spec Ops is coming back to the game. “In the previous Modern Warfare games, there was a mode called Spec Ops, and we’re going to have Spec Ops in the new Modern Warfare as well,” Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosak said. “But it’s Spec Ops like you’ve never seen before; Spec Ops to the 11th power. Crank the knob off, break it, and then throw it away.” It was also revealed that there will not be a Zombies mode in the upcoming title, which goes in line to the “realistic” feel that the company is trying to go for across the entire game’s offerings. Modern Warfare is rapidly building up to be the most hyped Call of Duty titles in a long time, and it will be a long wait until it’s October 25 release date.

  • Infinity Ward sends survey to get fans “playing Modern Warfare again” – Dexerto

Infinity Ward sends survey to get fans “playing Modern Warfare again” Less than two months removed from the launch of the latest Call of Duty installment, and the developers of Modern Warfare in Infinity Ward are already trying to figure how to get the players who’ve fallen off to start playing again. In a situation like this, it’s best to be direct. The launch of Modern Warfare has been a commercial success for the Call of Duty franchise and its developers, Infinity Ward. But extra money in the bank doesn’t always equate to a happy fan base. Modern Warfare’s launch has been marred with numerous issues that have been called out by the community, including bugs and exploits, map design, skill-based matchmaking, weapon balance, and more. The developers have been hard at work to resolve these issues since the game came out. Their most recent patch, the December 6 patch, fixed various issues, and also restored the fan-favorite Shoot House 24/7 playlist. But the team at Infinity Ward is interested in more than just appeasing their current player base, they also want to get the players who’ve stepped back from the game to come back into the fold. A massive survey from the Modern Warfare developers has been sent to players who’ve played less and less of the game since it released, asking players point-blank what would convince them to come back. A reddit user shared a screenshot of the huge list of options given. Some of the options given reflect common issues with Modern Warfare that have been brought up by casual and pro players. Multiple selections relate to the Spec Ops mode, which has drawn criticism for its bugginess and disappointing gameplay. General gameplay problems like spawns and weapon balance also have options to select, and while skill-based matchmaking isn’t specifically mentioned, there is an option regarding “match balance issues.” The developers have been surprisingly non-transparent about SBMM, forcing players to look for answers themselves. While the idea of Activision and Infinity Ward taking active steps to try and reclaim lost players can be viewed as proactive, it can also be considered concerning that they’ve resorted to this kind of survey so quickly after the game’s release. With a big undertaking in the Call of Duty League fast approaching, it’s clear that the goal for the developers is to retain and regain its player base to keep the competitive scene supported. We shall see how responses to this survey affect future update to Modern Warfare heading into 2020.

  • Infinity Ward tease new Modern Warfare Gunfight modes coming soon – Dexerto

Infinity Ward tease new Modern Warfare Gunfight modes coming soon A plethora of variation could be coming to Gunfight in Modern Warfare, according to recent comments from Infinity Ward. A brand new addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Gunfight pits two teams of two in an exceptionally small battlefield to duke it out over a number of fast-paced rounds. With the recently introduced beta for a competitive Gunfight tournament, there’s no hiding that the intense game-mode is a huge focus for the developers moving forward. A new statement from Infinity Ward has indeed indicated that new variations of the popular game-type are in the pipeline. Responding to an avid Modern Warfare player on Twitter, Infinity Ward Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot addressed Gunfight specifically and hinted at a number of exciting additions coming soon. “Are you planning on adding 3v3 gunfight?” one fan questioned. “At some point, also 1v1!” Cecot enthusiastically responded. Read More: Modern Warfare devs reveal upcoming changes – While no specific dates were outlined, these game-types have been in high demand throughout the Call of Duty community since the beta in September. https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1200924188573200384 While the traditional Gunfight game-type spawns all players with identical loadouts that rotate every two-rounds, Gunfight: OSP adds a unique twist to the formula in that weapons and equipment are scattered across the map instead. There’s no telling if the fresh 1v1 and 3v3 game-types will fall under the standard ruleset or if the OSP variant will take center stage. With some extremely condensed maps currently dominating the 2v2 variant, such as Gulag Showers and Docks, it’ll be interested to see how the new modes play out across fan-favorites. With Season One just announced, a huge influx of fresh content is set to drop on December 3 across all platforms with further additions being introduced throughout the course of the inaugural season. Two new Gunfight-specific maps were outlined in the seasonal overview, referred to as Cargo and Atrium, with more set to follow further down the line. Perhaps the new maps will see the first playable versions of 3v3 or 1v1 competition in MW.

  • Infinity Ward drops Modern Warfare event teaser in May 19 patch notes – Dexerto

Infinity Ward drops Modern Warfare event teaser in May 19 patch notes Infinity WardInfinity Ward subtly teased a new event in the latest Modern Warfare and Warzone patch notes, potentially hinting at a major Season 4 development. As Warzone enters its third month and Modern Warfare gears up for the next major update, Infinity Ward has begun to tease what’s in the pipeline. The latest set of patch notes delivered on May 18 left a subtle line of text at the very end. While the teasers have only just begun, let’s try to put the pieces together on what it could all mean. Could the teaser be hinting at Warzone’s future? We’re still early into the lifecycle of Infinity Ward’s battle royale hit, yet drastic changes could already be on the horizon. With the Dam slowly leaking, and new playable areas leaked already, it seems certain a map change is on the way. Read more: What are the howling noises in Warzone? – Three redacted words in the new line of text could reveal what’s next for Verdansk. Perhaps some kind of explosive ordinance is what’s being obscured for now. “ A homing strike of sorts would definitely be one way to bring about drastic map changes. Maybe an airstrike targets the Dam and washes away old sections of the Verdansk map… only time will tell. What could it mean for Modern Warfare Season 4? Players have already been privy to upcoming weapons in Modern Warfare’s next season, but each update brings about much more than that. From new maps to Operators, this teaser could be hinting at Season 4’s narrative direction. Season 3’s cinematic united Ghost and Alex as they recapture Rust from enemy forces. Infinity Ward could be teasing the introduction of another playable character with this line of text. Maybe a major Modern Warfare villain is setting up for a return with a bang, the possibilities are wide open. This could pave the way for a new Operator as our Season 3 heroes come toe to toe with a familiar foe. There’s no telling exactly what Infinity Ward has planned for their hugely popular battle royale, nor the record-setting Modern Warfare. Though it’s clear that something massive is right around the corner. Season 4 is expected to kick off on Wednesday, June 3. Keep your eyes peeled as Infinity Ward continues to release new easter eggs in the lead-up.

  • Infinity Ward job listings reveal info on 2019 Call of Duty single player and “Next Gen” – Dexerto

Infinity Ward job listings reveal info on 2019 Call of Duty single player and “Next Gen” 2019 is upon us, which means it’s officially Infinity Ward’s year to release a Call of Duty title, and job vacancies at the legendary studio can give us some clues as to what we can expect. Multiple reports have all but confirmed that 2019 CoD will not be ‘Ghosts 2’, which likely leaves two options; Modern Warfare 4, or a brand new sub-franchise (we can’t imagine Activision would back an Infinite Warfare 2 release). There are a lot more burning questions that fans have other than simply the name though; Will it be historical, futuristic or present day? Will there be specialists in multiplayer? Will there be a campaign mode? Some of these questions can be answered by looking at Infinity Ward’s job listings, which describe an “unannounced AAA title” forthcoming from the Call of Duty devs. Most interestingly however, many of the vacancies describe the title as “next gen” – indicating that the upcoming CoD will be available on whatever consoles Sony and Microsoft release next, as well as current systems. In one listing, Infinity Ward say they are looking for an engineer to “drive the vision of what a true next-gen console can achieve”. In another listing, they say: “Come work with the game industry’s brightest on an exciting, unannounced next gen title.” 700There are other things of note in these listings too, such as the mention of single player, which was conspicuously missing from 2018’s Call of Duty release from Treyarch, Black Ops 4. The listing for ‘Associate game designer’ requires applicants to have a “broad understanding of both multiplayer and single player game design.” Finally, there is a rather odd desire for a Senior Gameplay Animator who will “set a new bar for 3rd person player animation in a shooter.” Perhaps there will be a refined 3rd person mode coming, or some 3rd person action during the single player campaign? 700Call of Duty: WWII, the 2017 release from Sledgehammer Games, used 3rd person in the ‘Headquarters’ area, which acted as a sort of social hub between matches. These job listings give us a small glimpse at what Infinity Ward are working on behind closed doors, but it won’t be until mid 2019 until we start getting some public information from the studio.

  • Infinity Ward Job Listing Hints at the Return of Campaign Mode for Call of Duty 2019 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward Job Listing Hints at the Return of Campaign Mode for Call of Duty 2019 A new job listing for Infinity Ward has caught the eyes of the Call of Duty community as it seems to hint towards the return of a campaign mode for the 2019 CoD release. While Call of Duty players around the world can’t wait to get their hands on Black Ops 4 with its revamped movement, health, classes, and Blackout Battle Royale mode, others are still lamenting the fact that it won’t feature a campaign. With such a large online and multiplayer community, it is often easy to forget that millions of Call of Duty players around the world still buy each game for nothing more than the offline campaign experience. With that in mind, Treyarch’s decision to do away with it seems to be a big risk. A risk that Infinity Ward may not want to repeat for their next game, it seems. Infinity Ward will be making the Call of Duty game that is released after Black Ops 4 and there are already rumors circulating about it being a return to the popular Modern Warfare series for MW4. Now a new job listing for a “Narrative Scripter” with a “strong interest in First Person Shooter (FPS) Games and a “broad understanding of both multiplayer and single player game design” has appeared on LinkedIn: The listing hints heavily towards the next Infinity Ward title having a campaign mode but it certainly does not confirm it.With many game developers beginning to include a narrative with their multiplayer experiences, and Call of Duty having a history of co-op game modes, the return of single player is still just speculation. Infinity Ward has not yet commented on the rumors about the return of campaign mode.

  • Infinity Ward issues warning about Modern Warfare ‘rank reset’ bug – Dexerto

Infinity Ward issues warning about Modern Warfare ‘rank reset’ bug @VVaby_ – TwitterThe massive January 22 update for Modern Warfare, unfortunately, features a serious issue that’s causing player data to become corrupted, forcing players to reset their ranks and unlocks to continue. Infinity Ward has issued a warning advising players on how to avoid having all of their progress reset. Just days before the official launch of Call of Duty League, the Modern Warfare devs released a huge update that introduced the Crossbow, added additional loadouts, made weapon tuning adjustments, and more. The updated required 48GB of space on PC, 18.4GB on Xbox One, and 13.2GB on PlayStation 4. However, it appears the patch added more than just fixes and features, as players began sharing screenshots of a very alarming error message that popped up when they loaded in. The message reads “Your data is corrupt or didn’t download properly. You must reset your rank and unlocks to continue.” The game presents a Yes or No option. Infinity Ward tweeted out that they are aware of the issue, and advise players not to select either, and to “hard close their application.” We’re currently investigating an issue where players are getting an error prompt informing them their data is corrupt or did not download properly. Please do not select either option, but please hard close your application. Thank you for your patience while we work on this issue. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) January 22, 2020 The developers thanked fans for their “patience” while they work on the issue, however the issued warning was met with more frustration than patience, with several players venting that they had already selected one of the options, some calling for more options, and other taking the opportunity to fire shots at the developers. Some joked that this was an unofficial return of the Prestige system, a feature of previous games that let players reset progress once they maxed out everything. Activision and Infinity Ward are also collecting the Activision IDs of players who were affected by the reset before the warning was issued. If you were affected, you can respectfully reach out to Sr. Communications Manager Ashton Williams with your ID. The actual update itself added the Crossbow weapon to the game, made a number of weapon balance changes, changed a rule in Domination regarding capturing flags, nullified headshot damage, and more. Modern Warfare is no stranger to weird bugs and glitches, and while this one potentially has more serious ramifications than previous ones, the developers are typically quick when it comes to resolving them. This is a developing story we will continue to update as more information becomes available.

  • Infinity Ward give update on Warzone anti-cheat with over 200,000 banned – Dexerto

Infinity Ward give update on Warzone anti-cheat with over 200,000 banned Infinity WardCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward revealed that another ban wave has been released in their September 30 cheating update, confirming that over 200,000 total bans have been issued in Warzone and Modern Warfare. Since the release of Warzone on March 10, one of the biggest issues that the game has faced was the abundance of players using third-party cheats in the battle royale title. Despite the game’s massive popularity and success, Warzone and Modern Warfare players have been demanding better countermeasures and it now seems as if Infinity Ward has taken even more action to combat cheaters. While it was revealed that Activision were targeting popular cheat websites outside of the game, Infinity Ward have released numerous ban waves across the title in recent months. During their latest update on their anti-cheat efforts, the Call of Duty devs revealed that yet another ban wave had gone out, targeting one of the most popular Warzone cheat websites. The Warzone devs also confirmed the total number of bans in their September 30 update, claiming that “the team has banned over 200,000 accounts for cheating across Warzone and Modern Warfare.” Anti-cheat update: Since launch, the team has banned over 200,000 accounts for cheating across #Warzone and #ModernWarfare, including a new wave this week. We are continuing to deploy additional security updates and added backend enforcement tools. Zero tolerance for cheating. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) October 1, 2020 It was also revealed that there was a “new wave” of bans in the last week, which saw plenty of players, including a top Warzone streamer, receive punishments in-game. Infinity Ward followed up by revealing that they would continue to deploy “additional security updates” and backend tools to enforce a strict “zero-tolerance” policy for cheating. Although many Warzone and Modern Warfare players were happy to see more punishments dished out to those who cheat, there have been claims of users receiving false bans during the latest wave. However, as of now, this has not been confirmed and Infinity Ward has yet to respond to players who may have been affected by this issue.

  • Infinity Ward fires employee after racist messages go viral – Dexerto

Infinity Ward fires employee after racist messages go viral ActivisionInfinity Ward fired an employee after racist private messages leaked online and went viral. Since its foundation in 2002, Infinity Ward has worked on seven mainline Call of Duty titles. The development team’s first project in 2003, Call of Duty, caught the eye of Activision, and the rest is history. Activision bought Infinity Ward, and the team went on to create iconic FPS games such as COD 4, MW2, MW3, and the two most recent Modern Warfare reboots. Despite Infinity Ward’s storied track record, tensions have run high over the current state of COD. Frustration reached a boiling point in April when developers and other employees received death threats over an update not living up to their standards. The development team found itself under scrutiny again as an employee had their racist private messages leaked. Infinity Ward fire issues statement over employee’s racist messages On May 21, CHARLIEINTEL reported: “Infinity Ward has fired one of their employees after private matches shared online showed the employee sending racist messages.” Twitch streamer tianna-mercedes revealed the racist messages and called out Infinity Ward for not taking action. “How ironic! Your member of staff, being disgustingly racist, then had the audacity to say it’s fake after getting caught out.” Infinity Ward responded: “The individual in question is no longer an employee at Infinity Ward.” It’s unclear what the employee’s role with the company was. COD also recently shrouded itself in controversy after NICKMERCS posted a response to a Pride Month protest. The fallout from his comments resulted in Call of Duty removing his skin from the game. And the developers were also forced to remove TimTheTatman’s operator bundle after he stood in support of NICKMERCS. It remains to be seen what kind of criticism Activision and Infinity Ward will receive over its handling of the latest controversy.

  • Infinity Ward finally respond to Modern Warfare lag and netcode concerns – Dexerto

Infinity Ward finally respond to Modern Warfare lag and netcode concerns Infinity WardInfinity Ward, developers of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have finally responded to community concerns over net code, connection and server issues, following weeks of complaints. Modern Warfare’s October 25 release is drumming up lots of excitement, with many considering the game (and its beta) a move back towards the roots of the CoD series, not just in name. However, a video from Battle(non)sense has caused concern over poor net code for Modern Warfare – potentially even worse than Black Ops 4. The YouTuber explained that the net code for the beta would not be conducive to reducing lag. Net code is a fairly blanket term to describe the network conditions of a game, often relating to lag, ping and server reliability. Read More: MW leaker predicts “nasty” supply drops – On October 1, one Reddit user enquired as to why Infinity Ward had been so silent regarding net code concerns, speculating that it is because they are aware of how poor the connection will be and would rather not draw attention to it. However, Infinity Ward’s community manager, Ashton Williams, has responded since, in an effort to curb the community’s concerns. “To be transparent,” she started, “We’re working on something to share with you (before launch) that dives into this topic a bit more.” It sounds like Infinity Ward have heard the complaints, and are working on a presentation or announcement that will seek to alleviate some of these worries. Williams also stated that “things are improving”, in reference to both net code and developer-community communication. She also explained why there had been a delay with the announcement, stating: “Sometimes we need time to not only get our thoughts together but also how to put them in a way that makes sense to everyone when we do talk.” While they will be unable to guarantee a lag-free experience when Modern Warfare drops, it certainly sounds like Infinity Ward have heard players’ concerns regarding net code, and are looking to optimize online experiences. There will be unavoidable issues with Modern Warfare’s online modes when it launches – as there are with every game – but at least we can expect an announcement soon on how the developers plan to minimize these issues, and ensure the game’s net code is sufficient.

  • Infinity Ward finally respond to “easy nuke” exploit in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward finally respond to “easy nuke” exploit in Modern Warfare Infinity WardThe developers of Call of Duty Modern Warfare responded quickly to an in-game glitch discovered on Picadilly where players can remain in an out-of-bounds area and rack up nukes in Infected. It can also be abused in other modes. Since the game’s released in late 2019, Modern Warfare players have been quick to call out game-breaking bugs as they appear. When these bugs appear, Infinity Ward is typically quick on the draw when it comes to resolving them, and they appear to be doing so again after something very game-breaking was discovered in the London-based Piccadilly map. Reddit user ‘C0NF3S’ posted the glitch to the Modern Warfare subreddit, showing a camping spot that can be glitched into. The spot is outside the combat area, but once you glitch into it, the warning timer stops completely. Player can stick their gun through the unopenable door that they walk through, and it’s very, very difficult to kill the person camping there. C0NF3S claims it’s used a lot in the Infected mode, and allows players to rack up kills and use Nukes. Piccadilly isn’t regarded as one of the game’s more popular maps, and players expressed frustration that such a frequent camping spot exists. They have evidently been using this spot extensively for a while now, across all kinds of game modes, to earn killstreaks from a safe area that’s supposed to be out of bounds. However, the player who posted the clip tagged Infinity Ward’s Sr. Communications Manager Asthon ‘VULCAN’ Williams, who immediately responded and said that it should be fixed in the next update. Their most recent update on February 26, fixed a number of other bugged and broken issues as well, including the frustrating menu glitches, a problem with the Quick Fix perk, and an issue with killstreaks in the CDL rules playlist. The next update, which doesn’t have a date announced yet, is expected to include the fix for this Piccadilly glitch, as well as an issue with spawns and FPS in the new Rust map.

  • Infinity Ward finally respond to bizarre Warzone parachute glitch – Dexerto

Infinity Ward finally respond to bizarre Warzone parachute glitch Infinity WardJoe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has responded to a frustrating parachute bug in Warzone, that has been plaguing the battle royale for some time. Warzone, as any game of its size was bound to, has fallen victim to a host of bugs and glitches. They vary in terms of significance, from simple nuisances to those that can swing a game in a certain player’s favor. One glitch that has been prominent in Warzone for some time now relates to players’ parachutes, seeing them automatically deploy when players jump off steps and ledges that are barely off the ground. The glitch affected popular Twitch streamer TimTheTatman, who shared a clip of it, asking how long it has been in the game without a fix. HOW LONG HAS THIS PARACHUTE GLITCH BEEN IN WARZONE?! pic.twitter.com/FZpqvonbPW — timthetatman (@timthetatman) July 29, 2020 Other users confirmed they too were still experiencing the bug, and have been for months. One Twitter user responded to Tim’s tweet by tagging Joe Cecot, asking for his thoughts and a timescale on a fix. Thankfully, Cecot was on hand to provide a positive update, explaining that if all goes to plan on Infinity Ward’s end, a fix should be released during Season Five, which is set to begin on August 4. “We had been spot fixing this issue in the geometry but map tweaks and updates would cause more locations to become problematic,” he said. “Asked Code to have a look at it and they have a fix we’re going to put into test. It should be in the mid Season 5 update if all goes well!” We had been spot fixing this issue in the geometry but map tweaks and updates would cause more locations to become problematic. Asked Code to have a look at it and they have a fix we’re going to put into test. It should be in the mid season 5 update if all goes well! — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) July 30, 2020 Given Cecot’s response, players will have to wait slightly longer for a fix to the frustrating parachute glitch. Season Five is set to start on August 4 (or just after). The mid-season update then, looks likely to come at the start of September, going off the length of previous seasons. While this sounds like it will be coming at the end of Modern Warfare’s life-cycle, it’s important to remember that Warzone is expected to feature in CoD 2020, and potentially beyond. Hence, a September fix may be frustrating for the next month or so, but there’s a lot more life in Warzone beyond Modern Warfare.

  • Infinity Ward extend Modern Warfare Gunfight Alpha on PS4 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward extend Modern Warfare Gunfight Alpha on PS4 Infinity Ward, developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have answered the community’s call to extend the Gunfight Alpha exclusive to PS4. The Alpha was set to go live on Friday, August 23, but was available early on Thursday 22, letting players jump in for the first hands-on experience with the new game. The alpha was limited to a single mode – Gunfight – but a variant of the mode called OSP was added, changing up the gameplay with a battle royale-style twist where players would pick weapons up from the ground to fight. Just as players were expecting the Gunfight Alpha to be shut off on PS4, Infinity Ward answered their prayers and confirmed it would be extended. Although they haven’t given an exact time, they say that servers will stay live for a “few hours” longer – potentially until 4 PM EST (1PM PT, 9PM BST) – or potentially longer still. Let’s keep the 2v2 Gunfight Open Alpha going! We’re staying live for a few more hours so grab your duo and jump in! — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) August 25, 2019 It appears that the Alpha may have been removed from the PSN Store though, so if you don’t already have it downloaded, you may have missed your chance. It’s a bit 36GB download anyway, which would seriously cut into your playtime. Unfortunately, if you’re not on PS4, you won’t be able to get a chance to play until mid-September, when the full multiplayer beta is released on Xbox One and PC. For now, PS4 players should make the most of the extra time on the Gunfight Alpha.

  • Infinity Ward insiders add fuel to MW4 rumors, think CoD 2019 will be best ever – Dexerto

Infinity Ward insiders add fuel to MW4 rumors, think CoD 2019 will be best ever The next Call of Duty title still hasn’t been announced but it is widely expected to be Modern Warfare 4. An artist at Infinity Ward has teased a potential MW4 release. Next Call of Duty game announcement An announcement for the next Call of Duty game is reportedly coming this month. While this hasn’t been confirmed, it is reasonable to expect as such because of the history surrounding previous Call of Duty titles. In fact even if we go back to Modern Warfare 2, which was released in 2009, none of the games since were announced after May. Of the 10 games since then, four were announced in May, four in April, one in March and two in February. Unless Infinity Ward provide the latest Call of Duty announcement in recent memory then we can expect an announcement shortly. The full list of list of when each previous CoD game was announced is as follows: Modern Warfare 2: February, 2009 – Black Ops 1: April, 2010 – Modern Warfare 3: May, 2011 – Black Ops 2: May, 2012 – Ghosts: May, 2013 – Advanced Warfare: May, 2014 – Black Ops 3: April, 2015 – Infinite Warfare: April, 2016 – WW2: April, 2017 – Black Ops 4: March, 2018 – Former Call of Duty employee drops major Modern Warfare 4 hint Former Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward, Robert ‘fourzerotwo’ Bowling, has shared arguably the most conclusive hint that the next Call of Duty game will indeed be MW4. Bowling responded to one Call of Duty fan who said, in as many words, I’ll **** myself if the next game is MW4 with: “You better buy some brown pants.” If this wasn’t enough of a hint, on May 9 Bowling responded to a photoshopped image of himself with a MW4 t-shirt saying: “You guys are going to get me in trouble.” Despite all of the evidence and clues seemingly beginning to stack up, Modern Warfare 4 is still totally unconfirmed. However, at this point, it might be the worst kept secret in gaming. Infinity Ward artist teasing John Dunford, who is an artist at Infinity Ward, has actually responded to a couple of tweets regarding the next CoD game. Prior to this he hadn’t responded to any fan questions regarding the much awaited game. While the responses provide little to no information, which is wise as he will be of course under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), the responses in themselves may suggest something is just around the corner. After one Twitter user asked how good their next game will be, Dunford replied: “GOAT”. For those who don’t know GOAT is an acronym for the greatest of all time. Dunford and others associated with the game are clearly very confident that Modern Warfare 4 (not confirmed yet) will be one of, if not the, best Call of Duty games yet. The same person then asked what the best part of it is, Dunford replied with nothing more than a zip faced emoji, which basically said I can’t tell you. Of course he’s right, he can’t. With the greater than usual hype surrounding this new Call of Duty game, May could be a huge month!

  • Modern Warfare dev explains ‘new microtransaction system’ amid backlash – Dexerto

Modern Warfare dev explains ‘new microtransaction system’ amid backlash Infinity WardInfinity Ward director Joel ‘ArtPeasant’ Emslie has responded to criticism from Call of Duty fans after a number of leaks regarding Modern Warfare’s microtransaction system. Modern Warfare is set to launch on Friday, October 25, but leaks continue to circulate about what the game will feature on release, including a September 25 claim which stated that loot boxes would no longer be cosmetic items only but would include weapons. This news came as a significant blow to CoD fans who have long argued that by putting weapons inside supply drops, the developers are making their games pay-to-win, and with criticism abounding, Emslie has moved to calm concerns just a fortnight before the release. With fans still largely in the dark about how the microtransaction system will work, Reddit user devinate commented that he could “tell the game has a lot of hard work going into it,” but stated that fans wanted “clear answers on the MTX system, specifically because Black Ops 4’s system existed purely to wring the consumer out of money.” 11 days later, Emslie responded to the user, offering his appreciation for the kind words about the effort they had put into the game, and offering some hope to fans who feel microtransactions could ruin the game. “Thank you for the kind words about the effort we put into the game,” wrote the Studio Art Director. “I’m sorry for such a delayed response. What I can say is that we are focused on making a different system for Modern Warfare, one with a direct path to content for players.” What the “direct path” to content may be remains to be seen, but players will be hoping that instead of weapons and items being hidden in cases and loot boxes, with only a chance of getting their hands on them, they will instead be able to unlock them based on actually playing the game. It is currently unknown if we will receive any further information about microtransactions, but the latest statement from Emslie may give fans hope that Infinity Ward and Activision have made changes to the system.

  • Infinity Ward director responds to rumors of “cancelled” Modern Warfare mission – Dexerto

Infinity Ward director responds to rumors of “cancelled” Modern Warfare mission Infinity WardInfinity Ward Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki has responded to claims that the developers are removing one of Modern Warfare’s missions before the game’s release. A report from on Tuesday, June 11 suggested that the studio were still undecided about how “disturbing” the game would be, prompting fans and media outlets to speculate that Infinity Ward were going to censor parts of the game. Call of Duty fan asked Kurosaki about the rumored censorship, before asking if a specific mission, which is set to be based in London, will be removed from Modern Warfare. “I’m so confused about all this censoring,” wrote the disgruntled fan on Twitter. “Are you taking out that one mission in London?” The Narrative Director’s response was straight-forward, and likely pleasing for Call of Duty fans, confirming that it would “never” happen. Kurosaki has attempted to appease concerned CoD fans in the past, explaining that the original report made it seem like they were making sweeping changes to the game in an attempt to reign in the violent nature, while they are actually just “refining [their] vision” as the release date draws closer. Those who had the opportunity to play two of the upcoming game’s missions have claimed that it will likely be the “most controversial” campaign ever released by Infinity Ward, even surpassing the Modern Warfare 2 storyline which included the “No Russian” mission. No Russian was deemed so graphic that it was removed from the Russian version of the game altogether, and censored in other a number of other countries. While leakers suggest we may see a single-player trailer for the title released in July, it seems likely that we will have to wait until closer to Modern Warfare’s official release before we truly know how gruesome the campaign is. Kurosaki is adamant though that Infinity Ward will not be censoring or removing missions before the public get their hands on it, though.

  • Infinity Ward developer teases-highly requested Modern Warfare playlist – Dexerto

Infinity Ward developer teases-highly requested Modern Warfare playlist A hotly anticipated Modern Warfare playlist could be introduced to the game in the very near future judging by a cryptic tease from Infinity Ward. Since the launch of Modern Warfare on October 25 Infinity Ward has updated the title with a number of additional maps and modes. From fresh Gunfight additions throughout Season One such as Cargo and Atrium to remastered maps like Vacant and Shipment from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. While new features have been the focal point of recent updates, dedicated players have been clamoring for a way to enjoy some of the latest content on repeat. A recent post from an Infinity Ward developer might have given away that such a playlist could be right around the corner. Added to the game alongside the Season One update on December 3, Shoot House is a small-scale map that promotes close-quarters combat and frantic action from start to finish. Similarly, Shipment is an even smaller battlefield that spawns players close enough together that gunfights can ensue just seconds into the match. Added into the game on December 18, this marks the first playable version of the map since its initial release in the original Modern Warfare in 2007. Current Modern Warfare players have been treated to a 24/7 playlist involving nothing but Shoot House gameplay, however dedicated fans have been desperate for a similar playlist to accompany Shipment. A recent tease from Infinity Ward Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot has indicated that such a collection of maps and modes could be on the way soon. “Shoot the Ship,” the developer cryptically left in a Reddit post pleading for a ‘Chaos 24/7’ playlist to ensure nothing but the smallest maps will be played back to back. While only three short words, this comment has left players deeply excited for the addition of a hotly-anticipated playlist. With ‘shoot,’ more than likely referring to Shoot House and ‘ship’ evidently implying Shipment, it’s apparent that Cecot is teasing the introduction of an official playlist with smaller-scale maps. With incredibly fast-paced combat due to teams spawning in close proximity, the gameplay experience is drastically different to the likes of large-scale battle found throughout Ground War or even some of the bigger maps in Modern Warfare such as Euphrates Bridge. A 24/7 playlist featuring these two maps would ensure non-stop action with each subsequent match, providing rapid experience gains and a quicker means of jumping into battle for gamers with little time on their hands. While there’s no gauging exactly when a playlist of this nature could be introduced into Modern Warfare, this tease from Cecot certainly indicates that fans won’t have to wait all too long. In the meantime, an update set to go live on December 24 will bring about two fresh game modes and a heaping serve of holiday spirit. Here’s everything we know.

  • Infinity Ward developer drops cryptic response to keeping MW4 “simple” – Dexerto

Infinity Ward developer drops cryptic response to keeping MW4 “simple” Infinity WardA cryptic response posted by a multiplayer developer at Infinity Ward has offered up another clue that the next Call of Duty title will be Modern Warfare 4. While the 2019 installment of the Call of Duty series has not yet been confirmed, tons of leaks, rumors, and speculation have pointed to it being Modern Warfare 4. The latest clue comes courtesy of Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, who posted a rather mysterious response on Twitter. Having been tagged in a tweet by a follower who was asking to keep MW4 “simple,” Cecot offered a simple yet odd abbreviation in response. Read More: Black Ops 4 May 7 update patch notes – Operation Spectre Rising release, Alcatraz and more! – This response definitely warrants a lot of attention because of Cecot’s prominent position within Infinity Ward, who, of course, are in charge of developing this year’s new CoD game. While obviously no one but Cecot really knows what K.I.S.S spelled out, fans are speculating that it could stand for ‘Keep It Super Simple,’ or ‘Keep It Simple, Stupid,’ a common principle that states things work best when they are kept simple rather than be made complicated. Assuming either of those are what the abbreviation stands for, the next question would be what could that statement mean in terms of the game? It could suggest that MW4 will be going back to the basic fundamentals that made the Modern Warfare series so popular in the first place. This could mean no Specialists or playable characters with unique abilities, and having a simple pick-10 class system with the some of the iconic weapons and scorestreaks from previous titles. What we know about CoD 2019 so far Although Infinity Ward and Treyarch have not yet formally announced anything, it would be a major shock if Modern Warfare 4 doesn’t end up being CoD’s 2019 release. There have just been too many instances where MW4 has been mentioned as the next game, particularly when Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Marriota said the new game is “like the old Modern Warfare,” after getting to try it out early. In addition, there have been a multitude of leaks of completed MW4 menus and artwork, albeit some have been proven to be fake. Ultimately, fans won’t have to spend that much more time wondering, as Activision have confirmed that the new game will be officially revealed very soon. Until then, we’ll just have to try and piece the puzzles ourselves.

  • Infinity Ward dev responds to impatient fans waiting for Modern Warfare 4 reveal – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev responds to impatient fans waiting for Modern Warfare 4 reveal ActivisionUnlike previous years, the next Call of Duty game has not been revealed in late April or early May, leaving some fans impatient for the rumored Modern Warfare 4, but Infinity Ward’s narrative directer has chimed in on the rampant speculation. There hasn’t been an installment in the Modern Warfare series of the CoD franchise since 2011, however, all signs have been pointing to that fact changing with whatever title is released as Call of Duty’s 2019 game. Fans are eager to find out whatever information possible, especially as the point in which the game is traditionally announced has come and gone, and there has been no confirmation as to what is set to be announced. Yet, the wait for a teaser to finally be revealed may just be going on for a little bit longer, with Infinity Ward themselves starting to chime in on the arduous wait. Taylor Kurosaki, the Studio Narrative Director at Infinity Ward, responded to a fan who pleaded with them to reveal the teaser for the game sooner rather than later. “Take a deep breath. Be patient.” responded Kurosaki on May 12. Kurosaki followed up by saying “great things come to those who wait – clearly confident about what they are working on, another example of people related to Call of Duty finally making comments about the next game. Take a deep breath. Be patient. Great things come to those who wait. — Taylor Kurosaki (@taylorkurosaki) May 12, 2019 The Studio Narrative Director also seemed to advocate another user – Chris Atchison, Senior Game Advisor at EB Games – in their plea for patience too, explaining that fans shouldn’t get caught in what news might be real and what might be false. Hey buddy, It’s glad to see users are passionate. But don’t get to caught up in the drama of what’s real and what isn’t. Don’t get caught up in taking sub-Reddit’s seriously, either. It’s a dangerous way to consume entertainment. Don’t let others influence your excitement. — Chris Atchison (@IceWalls_) May 12, 2019 While the wait for confirmation about the next game will finally be over before June 30, at the very latest, that hasn’t stopped fans clinging on to every word or possible tease about seeing something from the new title before then. Popular YouTuber Tom ‘Syndicate’ Cassell recently hinted at a possible reveal date after heading out to Los Angeles on a ‘secret’ trip. The secret seemed to be let out of the bag when eagle-eyed fans spotted a familiar building lurking in the background of his video – matching it up with the headquarters of Infinity Ward. While it hasn’t been confirmed that Syndicate was playing Modern Warfare 4, it has been confirmed that Activision and Sony, the two parties who would be likely to reveal the next game, won’t be attending E3 on June 11-14 with any sort of big show. So, any hopes of seeing the game there are pretty bleak. It remains to be seen just when the eagerly anticipated game will be announced but with evidence piling up, it seems as if it can’t be all that far away.

  • Infinity Ward dev reveals fixes coming to Modern Warfare Season 3 – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev reveals fixes coming to Modern Warfare Season 3 Infinity WardJoe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has responded to multiple Modern Warfare bugs, indicating that fixes will be coming later in the ongoing Season Three. Warzone is currently the fan-favorite mode, and some fans feel regular Modern Warfare’s multiplayer is being left to fend for itself. However, Joe Cecot, one of Infinity Ward’s senior developers, has responded to a number of players experiencing bugs. Given the release of Modern Warfare Season Three on April 8, it’s unsurprising that a number of new issues have emerged. We can expect to see most of the following bugs fixed before Season Four begins, in late May or early June. Arguably the most notable of the bugs Cecot responded to was a fairly significant SnD issue. The bug enables players to move around the map 10 seconds prior to the round actually starting. This is obviously a pretty significant glitch, enabling players to get into enemy spawns and kill them straight away. Unfortunately, Cecot replied: “Awful bug that we don’t have a repro in dev for.” While there’s not currently a fix in the works, the severity of the bug means Infinity Ward will be working hard to find a patch. Hopefully it comes soon. Another couple of bugs responded to by Cecot relate to Ground War spawn issues – on the maps Aniyah Palace and Downtown. While the Downtown glitch spawns players under the map, the Aniyah Palace issue spawns players on top of the main building. Players struggle to get out of these bugged-spots without killing themselves and hoping the next spawn is normal. With both issues now on IW’s radar, we can expect fixes to come swiftly for the minor spawn errors. The final issue Cecot responded to relates to a claymore kill challenge players have to complete. Despite fans racking up the kills with claymores, many have noticed that their kills aren’t counting towards completion of the challenge. Thankfully, Cecot confirmed that a fix is “in the works”, meaning we should see this patched in Modern Warfare’s next meaningful update. It’s important to remember that the majority of bugs were probably caused by the large Season 3 update. However, Cecot’s swift responses reflect IW’s efforts to make Modern Warfare as bug free as possible. For a full list of the bugs Infinity Ward are working on, you can check out their dedicated Modern Warfare Trello board.

  • Modern Warfare dev responds to ridiculous MW2 Remastered conspiracy theory – Dexerto

Modern Warfare dev responds to ridiculous MW2 Remastered conspiracy theory Infinity WardAn odd conspiracy theory has been floating around the Call of Duty community regarding the possible remaster of Modern Warfare 2, and it’s finally caught the attention of some developers at Infinity Ward. With only a few months left until the release of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare game, and more and more players are starting to jump on the speeding hype train. Infinity Ward has kept silent on details about the Multiplayer side of things, which has caused players to play detective and try to figure out things for themselves. This has, predictably, led to a lot of far-fetched theories, including one that claims a secret remaster of the classic Modern Warfare 2 title is in the works, and will come as part of the new MW reboot that’s set to release in October. What inspired this theory? An image put out to promote MW featured the iconic character Captain Price, with one of the wrinkles on his shirt looking eerily like the number two. The image above was tweeted at Infinity Ward Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki, who is one of the higher-level developers for the upcoming Modern Warfare game. Surprisingly, despite the ludicrous nature of the theory, Kurosaki took the time to reply to it: “Hah! That’s funny.” While his response does seem to shoot down the theory, it doesn’t directly and outwardly deny it, which has given some players hope that a MW2 remaster could be in the works. There is the distinct possibility that Infinity Ward could, in fact, be working on a remaster of the popular title, and the odd wrinkle on Captain Price’s shirt was actually just a coincidence. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility either; IW are the only Call of Duty studio so far to have done a full remaster of one of their previous titles, having released Modern Warfare Remastered in 2016 along with Infinite Warfare. Furthermore, over the past few months, there have been a variety of leaks and heavy speculation that remastering MW2 was on IW’s itinerary, although those rumors have significantly slowed down since the announcement of Modern Warfare. When does Modern Warfare come out? The 2019 reboot of the Modern Warfare series is set to release on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Although details about Multiplayer haven’t been discussed yet, there have been a lot of supposed leaks, including the full list of perks, killstreaks, weapon mechanics and more. As always, make sure to monitor the Dexerto Call of Duty page, as we will continue to bring you the latest information and updates about this year’s CoD title.

  • Infinity Ward dev explains how Modern Warfare cross-play will work – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev explains how Modern Warfare cross-play will work ActivisionOne Call of Duty franchise was officially announced as Modern Warfare on May 30, with CoD finally returning to the fan-favorite series for the first time since 2011. The first reveal for the game centered around the campaign aspect of the game – with iconic characters showing their faces. However, as ever, fans want to know more about the multiplayer side of things. Infinity Ward has already confirmed that there will be cross-platform play, but they’ve yet to officially explain how it will work. Yet, one member of their team – Candice Capen – may have let the cat out of the bag on Twitter with her posts from June 1 as she replied to a handful of fan questions. One clearly excited fan pressed Capen on whether on not cross-platform related to just Xbox and PS4 players finding themselves playing against each other, or if there would be lobbies of Xbox, PS4, and PC. The Infinity Ward producer was quick to give an answer, replying: “Everybody play with everybody play with everybody,” with a smiley face attached, clearly signaling that multiplayer will be open for all. everybody play with everybody play with everybody =] — Candice :purple_heart: (@candyslexia) June 1, 2019 Despite Capen’s semi-revealing post, it remains to be seen how exactly cross-play in Modern Warfare will work. The developer linked an article from Forbes which stated that players will only do battle with their respective input – controller vs controller and keyboard + mouse against keyboard + mouse. It also states that one option for cross-play could be similar to how Fortnite Battle Royale works – allowing console players to fight alongside PC players but only if they hop into a game with a PC player in their party. However, nothing has been confirmed. Read More: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Release date, campaign, multiplayer, cross-platform, rumors – Other than that, more details about the multiplayer portion of Modern Warfare are surely set to surface in the coming week. Infinity Ward has confirmed that they will hold a panel at the upcoming E3 2019 trade fair event – with three developers attending. However, that panel is set to be more story and campaign focused and might just mean that fans will have to wait a little longer for some juicy multiplayer details.

  • Infinity Ward dev confirms more Modern Warfare content is coming – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev confirms more Modern Warfare content is coming ActivisionWhile we know when Black Ops Cold War’s first content season is coming, and subsequently when it’s going to be integrated with Warzone, fans have been left in the dark about what’s to happen with Modern Warfare. Now, an Infinity Ward dev might have some answers. [jwplayer MSpVmKRG] Modern Warfare is in a weird state right now. Black Ops Cold War is out, Nuketown is on its way for free on Nov 24, and the first content season is coming on Dec 10. BOCW is on schedule to take over as the premier Call of Duty title, but that left a few unanswered questions regarding 2019’s iteration of the franchise. While there’s been some leaked content for a while now, including a Makarov pistol and even a remake of the map Killhouse from Call of Duty 4, nothing official has been announced from Infinity Ward or Activision yet about what’s going to happen to the game now that BOCW is out and in full swing. Now, we finally might have a hint thanks to Infinity Ward Lead Multiplayer VFX Artist Reed Shingledecker. When asked directly about the possibility of a Season 7 for Modern Warfare, the dev confirmed that more content was coming for the game in some way shape or form. The downside is that he, apparently, has no idea what form the content will come in, meaning we may not get a Season 7 for the game while still getting more content for it at the same time. Maybe we’ll end up getting a mini-season to close out the game or just simply a random content drop not tied to anything in particular. Who knows at this point. There is more content coming. I just don’t know the official name of it. Hope some info gets released soon so people know what’s going on. — Reed S. (@fx_reed) November 23, 2020 Shingledecker also, unfortunately, hinted that he had no idea when the information will become available, as he “hopes some info gets released soon so people know what’s going on.” It is worth reminding people to take this with a grain of salt. Plans change all the time, especially in today’s day and age, so anything’s possible. That being said, with only a few days until Modern Warfare Season 6 ends, Infinity Ward has little time to announce something unless they want to extend that current season.

  • Infinity Ward dev confirms more “familiar faces” coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev confirms more “familiar faces” coming to Modern Warfare Infinity WardInfinity Ward member Taylor Kurosaki has hinted at the return of “familiar faces” from the Call of Duty series when Modern Warfare finally releases. Call of Duty fans are chomping at the bit to get any sort of news ahead of the release of Modern Warfare on October 25. Apparent leakers have ‘revealed’ multiplayer details like the set of killstreaks, the seemingly new and improved perks as well as a potential battle royale mode. However, outside of the single-player release trailer, players who want to get stuck into the campaign have been somewhat starved of information. Yet, Infinity Ward developers have begun hinting at bits and pieces. On July 18, after Kurosaki tweeted out the raw gameplay footage from Gunfight, his Twitter was flooded with questions about Modern Warfare. Of course, he didn’t answer them all, but took some time to answer a handful. One fan, in particular, asked if long-time players would see “familiar faces” in Modern Warfare other than Captain Price, despite the game being a ‘soft reboot’ and not a continuation of the iconic MW trilogy. The Studio Narrative Director offered up a succinct “Yep,” without hinting at who else could be involved. Upon seeing this, other fans jumped in with responses about who they might just see considering Kurosaki’s hint. Some immediately pointed towards Captain “Soap” MacTavish making a return, and Polygon already hinted that he would make a comeback in their in-depth report after getting hands-on on with Modern Warfare. Others pointed towards “Ghost” also being given a reboot, despite dying in Modern Warfare 2. It remains to be seen which characters Infinity Ward opts to bring back considering the new release is set to be a soft reboot of Modern Warfare with a different story. That wait should be too long, however, as fans will get to see more multiplayer action on Thursday, August 1 before the game finally releases to the public on October 25.

  • Modern Warfare dev confirms akimbo & RPG changes coming to Warzone – Dexerto

Modern Warfare dev confirms akimbo & RPG changes coming to Warzone Infinity WardInfinity Ward developer Joe Cecot has revealed that they will soon be making changes to the controversial akimbo snake-shot pistols and RPGs in Modern Warfare and Warzone. The akimbo snake shot 357s have become extremely popular in Modern Warfare, with many players taking advantage of weapons in their loadouts for its aggressive playstyle. As the akimbo weapons offer massive burst damage at close to medium range, it has become incredibly hard to counter and many have called for the weapons to be nerfed in recent weeks. Ahead of Modern Warfare’s April 28 update, Infinity Ward design director Joe Cecot revealed that, although they did not have a nerf ready for the new patch, there would be changes made to the snake shots at a later date. “We are working on an adjustment for akimbo snake-shots in a smaller update,” he revealed, confirming that a nerf was coming for the infamous weapons. He also revealed that the next major update would also introduce some changes to RPG launchers for Multiplayer and Warzone, adding, “RPGs are also getting a tuning pass in the next big update to come later on.” https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1255394709599670278 This will likely come as a relief to many CoD fans that have encountered the akimbo snake shots recently, giving those who abuse it less of an advantage on unsuspecting players. Many players have been sharing clips of just how powerful the akimbo’s can be in recent days with one player u/ssieK bursting multiple teams down with to close out a high-kill warzone game. The update could not come soon enough as a YouTuber has also uncovered an infinite ammo glitch with the akimbo perk, potentially making the weapons even more effective in-game. Related: Top 10 CDL Chicago moments As of now, Infinity ward has not released a date for this smaller update that will be affecting the akimbo pistols, however, with new patches being released every few weeks it is unlikely to take too long.

  • Infinity Ward dev calls CoD 2019 most “ambitious” game they’ve made – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev calls CoD 2019 most “ambitious” game they’ve made Infinity WardCall of Duty fans are already looking to the future for the next entry in the epic franchise, be it Modern Warfare 4 or others – and one dev from Infinity Ward is thinking it could be their biggest yet. Treyarch’s Black Ops 4 was initially met with a wave of success, as it introduced a completely brand new mode in the Blackout battle royale. But bumps in the road of its development, as well as the delay of key features, have left many fans disappointed with the series’ latest iteration. Now that the torch has come back around to Infinity Ward, it looks like Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki is gearing up for quite possibly the biggest game he’s ever worked on. What’s more ambitious than Modern Warfare 4? A CoD fan had asked the former Naughty Dog dev if he felt that the yet-to-be-named title for 2019 would rank as the “most ambitious game” he’d ever been a part of. In a short but resounding reply, the Infinity Ward dev confirmed that the latest entry would “definitely” be the most ambitious project he’s worked on to date. Although some CoD players think there would be nothing more ambitious than a new iteration for Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward could be preparing something special for the next title. Regardless, fans of Call of Duty should be thrilled to hear the news since Kurosaki has various highly acclaimed projects under his belt, which apparently pale in comparison to what Infinity Ward is cooking up for their end of the year release. Kurosaki brings a lot to the table The dev has previously worked on masterclass titles ranging from the original Crash Bandicoot to Uncharted 2, before signing on with the legendary studio in Infinity Ward. Infinity Ward had brought on Kurosaki after releasing the controversial Call of Duty: Ghosts. The Narrative Director helped shape the characters in Advanced Warfare, which provided a deep and rich exploration into the main characters of the game. Since Advanced Warfare, Infinity Ward has been pretty tight lipped about their upcoming project with leaks and rumors spilling from time to time. The company is sure to release more news and information about their title as the holiday season draws near. If Kurosaki’s reply to a fellow fan is any indication, then CoD players are in for a huge treat when their 2019 entry finally drops.
