  • Infinity Ward dev clears up speculation over fake MW4 teaser – Dexerto

Infinity Ward dev clears up speculation over fake MW4 teaser Infinity Ward’s Studio Art Director, Joel Emslie, has cleared up speculation about a teaser video that was circulating for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, that has since been roundly debunked as fake. Fake MW4 teaser fools some fans It is coming to that time of the Call of Duty cycle, as fans begin to expect a teaser trailer to be dropped for the next installment of the the franchise. With heavy speculation that Modern Warfare 4 will be next entry, some fans were quick to believe when a teaser clip, revealing a livestream ‘reveal’ date, and the Infinity Ward logo in the classic green font made famous in the Modern Warfare games. The 20 second long teaser circulating on social media featured the voice of a soldier who was communicating over a static radio while a date, April 23, was displayed on screen along with the Infinity Ward Twitch channel link. The date hinted towards a potential reveal happening on April 23, and many fans on social media took this to be an official leaked trailer, sharing it with others on platforms such as Reddit and Twitter. Clip YT IW’s Art Director responds to ‘leak’ There were some critics however, such as YouTuber ‘Gunner 2x’ who debunked the video on his channel, explaining why although this was one of the more accurate trailers he had seen as they had used what he believed to be an unreleased Infinity Ward logo, there was certain flaws leading him to believe the teaser was fake. Infinity Ward’s Studio Art Director, Joel Emslie, responded to Gunner 2x on Twitter, clarifying that the logo seen in the teaser was not the ‘new’ Infinity Ward logo, rather was only used for shirts at E3 2018, further confirming that the teaser was not an official Infinity Ward trailer. Need to clarify this logo talk. Its a development logo tweak we created for last year’s E3. Studio shirt. It’s not our primary logo. — Joel Emslie (@ArtPeasant) April 12, 2019 When can we expect a real MW4 teaser? Despite the clarifying that the trailer was inaccurate, Joel did not give any hints away to whether Modern Warfare 4 would be the next Call of Duty release or when an official trailer might be released to the fans. Many still believe this to the most likely of additions to the Call of Duty franchise and they probably won’t have to wait much longer to find out.

  • Infinity Ward criticized for response to Warzone hackers – Dexerto

Infinity Ward criticized for response to Warzone hackers Infinity WardModern Warfare developers Infinity Ward have received backlash from Call of Duty players over their latest response to the cheaters in Warzone. Since Modern Warfare released its free battle royale title, Warzone, on March 10, it has attracted many of the biggest gaming content creators, as well as millions of players around the world. Despite its incredible popularity, Warzone and its players have endured a significant and growing number of cheaters in recent weeks and months, and called on Infinity Ward to address the problem. Infinity Ward finally issued a response on July 24, revealing that “more banwaves are coming” and warning players that they will be punished for using any mods or hacks in-game. However, there were mixed reactions to the developer’s statement, with some Call of Duty personalities and pro players voicing their concern over the apparent lack of action taken so far. Infinity Ward criticized for Warzone cheating response CDL analyst and commentator Joe ‘MerK’ DeLuca highlighted the statement, later adding that this would “entice [cheaters] more,” and received plenty of replies from pro players and streamers who were also disappointed. Call of Duty world champions, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan were among the many to express their disappointment, mocking the devs for their approach to the issue. “Look we’re gonna ban some people, but like in the meantime, please just don’t,” ACHES added, imitating the Warzone devs’ response. “Don’t do it. This may result in being banned.” LMAOOOOOOOO — Jordan Kaplan (@JKap415) July 24, 2020 Dallas Empire star James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks also made light of the response, joking that the cheaters would all stop after Infinity Ward’s warning. Welp! IW told us we can’t cheat anymore so guess we better stop! — Empire Clayster (@Clayster) July 24, 2020 Huntsmen and NRG Co-CEO, Hector ‘H3cz’ Rodriguez later responded to another glitch that was found in Modern Warfare, joking that the devs could just “put out a graphic” for that as well. Dude its cool man, @InfinityWard is going to put out a graphic telling people “”not to do it… or else”” which should be sufficient enough to make people not want to do it. — OpTic HecZ (@H3CZ) July 24, 2020 NRG content creator Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards also replied to the Warzone cheating post, explaining that, while he was happy with the devs addressing the issue, he would prefer that an anti-cheat system over the current ban waves. glad to see some action being taken. i would have loved to see some sort of anti-cheat rather than ban waves. cheaters have said it’s easy to hop back on and cheat again post-ban. hopefully this helps in some capacity though — davis. (@hitchariide) July 24, 2020 However, despite some of the criticism, there were also top streamers such as TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, and more that were seemingly happy with the steps being taken. Other players have called for an anti-cheat to be added to help combat this issue, although it is unclear if Infinity Ward intends to add one anytime soon. The Warzone devs have announced some of these ban waves before for Warzone and Modern Warfare, however, it was followed by complaints of players claiming they had been unfairly banned.

  • Infinity Ward confirms when Warzone’s Trios playlist will return again – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirms when Warzone’s Trios playlist will return again Infinity WardWarzone players have kicked up a fuss once again after Infinity Ward removed trios from rotation for a second time. The Call of Duty community won’t have to wait much longer however, as we now know when the mode is set to return. Since Warzone’s launch on March 10, the vast majority of players quickly grew accustomed to Trios being the standard game-type. Since then, Infinity Ward has introduced everything from Solos and Duos, up to Quads as well. Instead of simply adding to the pre-existing playlists though, the developers have time and again removed old modes in favor of new additions. After dropping regular Trios from rotation a second time in the game’s brief lifespan, the community vented their frustration on social media. Thankfully, we now know when it will be coming back. An April 8 patch brought about both Duos and Quads to much fanfare. These highly requested modes were added in quickly, though they came at a cost. Instead of joining alongside Trios, they outright replaced the popular mode. Bringing the Trios playlist back on April 10, it was quickly removed once again just a few days later, causing fans to grow ever-more frustrated. Warzone’s April 14 playlist update introduced a brand new take on the Trios formula. The Scopes and Scatter Guns mode saw players restricted to just shotguns and sniper rifles throughout the three-person playlist. The new addition came at the cost of standard Trios once again, however. After days of community backlash, Infinity Ward today confirmed that the regular three-person playlist will be back on Thursday, April 16th at 11PM PST. We hear you loud and clear! We’ll be doing a playlist update tomorrow night, Thursday, April 16th at 11PM PST that brings BR Trios back to #Warzone. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) April 16, 2020 Removing and restoring the mode time and time again has led to much confusion and frustration. However, there’s no telling if the mode will become a permanent fixture now after having been re-implemented twice due to community demand. “We hear you loud and clear!” Infinity Ward posted on April 15, responding to the vocal majority. “We’ll be doing a playlist update tomorrow night that brings BR Trios back to Warzone.” While players can hop back into a regular three-person Warzone experience after tomorrow’s playlist update, there’s no guarantee that the mode won’t be plucked for a third time in the days to come. If Trios becomes the most-played mode once again, there’s a good chance we may see it stick around for the long-run this time. Dexerto will keep you up to date on all the latest playlist changes as Infinity Ward continues to tweak the Warzone experience.

  • Infinity Ward confirms more Warzone bans coming in latest cheating update – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirms more Warzone bans coming in latest cheating update Infinity Ward[jwplayer fQfYV77d] After being relatively silent about the issue for a while now, Infinity Ward has confirmed that they are planning on issuing a slew of new bans for Warzone cheaters in the near future. It’s no secret that one of, if not the biggest problems with Call of Duty: Warzone is the cheaters. Pretty much ever since the day of release, cheaters have plagued the game in a variety of different ways, whether it be the use of aimbots, wallhacks, or hex editors. While the developer did a relatively good job about issuing bans towards the beginning of the game’s life when the cheating problem went mainstream, lately the community has felt that Infinity Ward’s response to cheaters has been a bit lacking, with some people arguing it completely ruins the battle royale experience. That, however, may be changing soon, as Infinity Ward has confirmed over Twitter that it will be sending out a fresh wave of bans in the very near future. Unfortunately, other than the confirmation that these bans will be for “unauthorized manipulation of game data”, the developer did not give any more details about the bans, including when they’ll exactly be sent out. While the obvious assumption would be that the bans would be going out immediately, it may not be so easy. One problem is that, given the fact that the developers are working from home right now, everything is happening a bit slower than usual. This is just an inherent problem with not being in the studio. At the same time, the developer might also be taking a bit more time on these bans, considering just a couple weeks back, players were hit with accidental bans even though they had no cheating software installed whatsoever. While it’s nice to hear that more ban waves are coming, it may be too little too late. Streamers, influencers, and general players seem to be fed up with the cheating. While it’s impossible to get rid of 100% of cheaters in the game, it’ll be interesting to see just how well Infinity Ward solves the problem with the next wave.

  • Infinity Ward confirms Modern Warfare won’t have loot boxes after all – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirms Modern Warfare won’t have loot boxes after all Activision – Call of DutyThe latest iteration in the renowned Call of Duty franchise is supposedly being released without a loot box system in place. Set to launch on October 25, Modern Warfare is shaping up to be a huge release in the series. Boasting a full campaign, cross-play functionality for multiplayer, and the return of fan-favorite Spec Ops mode. Despite this, the community has been largely kept in the dark in regards to the state of microtransactions in the game and whether or not loot boxes will be featured. In an October 13 post on Reddit, Infinity Ward Art Director Joel Emslie provided an update and revealed that Modern Warfare will not release with a loot box system in place. “There continues to be misinformed and incorrect info being pushed about Modern Warfare,” he expressed. “What I can say right now is that we are definitely NOT working on any kind of supply drop or loot box system.” Recent leaks suggested that not only would the title release with loot box functionality, but that weapons would be accessible via microtransactions. A rumor that enraged the Call of Duty community. The most recent update from Infinity Ward however, clearly denies the earlier leaks, as Emslie has ensured that “functional stuff is unlocked through GAMEPLAY.” While loot boxes have been featured prominently throughout many Call of Duty titles, functionality has almost entirely revolved around cosmetic unlocks in past entries. With no supply drop or loot box system in the works however, it seems as though these items will be unlocked in other ways. “We’re planning to release info this week,” Emslie assured. If recent leaks are to be trusted, there’s a very real chance that we see a Battle Royale mode announced for Modern Warfare in the near future. Perhaps loot boxes will have a presence throughout this large-scale mode down the line. Modern Warfare could also be seeing the removal of the prestige system, with rumors suggesting that seasonal ranks will now be of the utmost importance instead.

  • Infinity Ward confirms Modern Warfare 2 will not include zombies – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirms Modern Warfare 2 will not include zombies Treyarch, ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard Zombies drove away long-time fans of the game mode — and it looks like Zombie fans will have to wait at least two more years before new content. Zombies is a staple game mode in Call of Duty. It was exciting news that Treyarch was returning to design Vanguard Zombies, as the studio was responsible for introducing Zombies to Call of Duty in World at War and continuing its legacy during the Black Ops era. That excitement, soon turned to frustration after Vanguard Zombies players got fed up when they felt they weren’t being listened to in regards to round-based maps. Call of Duty Vanguard launched with no round-based maps, which was an extremely controversial decision. Finally, on April 14, Treyarch announced that a round-based map was fully in development. Unfortunately for Zombie fans, it may be the final map they see for a while since Zombies will not be included in Modern Warfare 2. As reported by Venturebeat, Infinity Ward made an official statement stating, “there will be no Zombies” in Modern Warfare 2. Zombies will not be included in Modern Warfare 2 The announcement should not come as much of a surprise as Infinity Ward only ever developed a Zombies game mode once, and that was for Call of Duty: Infinity Ward. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the first Call of Duty title to have a two-year lifespan, meaning there will be no Zombies game mode developed by Infinity Ward in that time frame. It looks as though for now Zombie fans will have to boot up old CoD titles if they want to play some classic round-based zombies. Follow along here for our full Modern Warfare 2 coverage.

  • Infinity Ward confirms DMZ progression won’t reset every season – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirms DMZ progression won’t reset every season ActivisionAhead of Season 2 for Modern Warfare 2, it was revealed that the DMZ mode will reset challenges but Infinity Ward confirms it won’t always happen. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 launches into Season 2 on February 15 that will bring many fixes and new content for players to enjoy. With the new DMZ mode that came with it, players were shocked to find out that their progress will be reset at the start of Season 2. Everyone will have to start from scratch again with faction missions, keys, and the player’s personal stash. However, Infinity Ward has made new comments about why this is happening in DMZ and if it will be consistent with future seasons. DMZ won’t reset player progression every season A new blog post from Infinity Ward goes into more detail about what’s coming for Season 2 and changes that are going to occur. Players were not happy to find out that upon release of Season 2, all progress made within the DMZ mode will be reset to the beginning. From the blog post, the developer’s put out a list of confirmed changes within DMZ: Contraband Weapon Inventories will be rolled back to the starting weapons. – Key inventories will be emptied – Faction missions and mission progress will reset to make room for an updated mission set that incorporates all Exclusion Zones – The Key Stash will now be able to hold specific mission items that you must gather from one Exclusion Zone and bring to another. This allows us to have longer form missions that utilize all of our Exclusion Zones. – With the new mission set, we can employ multi-location missions that send players to Al Mazrah, to Ashika Island, and to Building 21. The mission refresh is made up of new missions, updated missions and missions we felt worked really well from Season 1. – Going into further explanation in the post, Infinity Ward says that the mission progress in DMZ became “too difficult, too quickly.” They wish to remake the leveling process into something easier for players to jump in and complete in a timely manner. This is hopefully better news for players as things will be more streamlined in Season 2. Looking beyond the upcoming Season, DMZ will continue making improvements on the mode based on community feedback.

  • Infinity Ward confirm when next major update is coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm when next major update is coming to Modern Warfare ActivisionWith the Call of Duty League just around the corner, Infinity Ward have revealed that the next “major update” for Modern Warfare is also on the horizon. Modern Warfare has received a mixed bag of reviews in its short time under the spotlight. Despite being the most played Call of Duty in the franchise’s history, there has been a heap of issues that have needed addressing since the public launch in October. And with all eyes expected to be directed to Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare, the developers are keen to have their game polished up and ready to be showcased to the world. One prominent issue that has been particularly frustrating for the competitive community, is the notorious slide-cancel exploit. Infinity Ward have vowed to fix the movement bug in a future update. Yet, up until this point, there has been no set date — leaving both Call of Duty fans and professional players alike in the dark regarding any improvements. However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. As part of Infinity Ward’s community update that was posted on January 17, the developers revealed that: “We’ve also been working on an update that we’re looking to publish to all platforms next week.” Moreover, Call of Duty pro, Rhys ‘Rated’ Price, revealed that a patch for slide-canceling in Modern Warfare was inbound and scheduled to be pushed live on January 22 (a mere two days before the CDL is set to debut). Told there’s a slide cancel patch on the 22nd get close to the 22nd “”No time line on the slide cancel patch”” only call of duty. — Rhys Price (@Rated_COD) January 18, 2020 Given the above, Infinity Ward’s intention could be to roll out one major update in a neat package on January 22. It’s been over a month since the last major update for Modern Warfare, and with Season 1 now extended until later in February, some fans were getting impatient with the lack of updates. Although the extension will give some players the chance to hit the top rank on the battle pass, others just want the new content to be added sooner rather than later. The update might also appease the competitive community. Pro players, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat, highlighted that Infinity Ward were yet to address some issues which affect the competitive aspect of Modern Warfare. Bro we legit haven’t gotten a single update that improves the game for us. And we still aren’t gonna before MN! Insaneee. — PATTYP (@ACHES) January 18, 2020 Alongside fixing the slide-cancel exploit, Infinity Ward are set to push out a fix for other known issues. Per the Modern Warfare Tracker, the developers have addressed a number of concerns, such as: Ground War glitches, killstreak bugs and Hardpoint zone fixes (to name a few).

  • Infinity Ward confirm Warzone coming to PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm Warzone coming to PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone will be updated to support the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Infinity Ward has confirmed. With new consoles from Sony and Microsoft set to hit the shelves this holiday season, Warzone will need to make the jump to the next generation. Luckily, Infinity Ward Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki has confirmed via an interview with GamerGen that Warzone will transition onto PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when they release. Infinity Ward intends for Warzone “to be around for quite some time,” according to Kurosaki. With this in mind, it makes sense as to why Infinity Ward would want Warzone on next-gen consoles as soon as possible. If a next-gen update is already in the works, several months before the consoles are slated to release, it wouldn’t be totally unreasonable to suggest that Warzone might be ready for the launch of these consoles later in the year – if they do release this year, of course. Related – The Incredible Call of Duty COMEBACKS That Shocked Everyone It’s important to note that Season 4 of Modern Warfare should be coming sometime next month, while console releases traditionally take place in the early part of the holiday season. This will give players approximately 5-6 months between the launch of Season 4 and the launch of next-gen consoles, yet it’s still unknown whether or not Modern Warfare will feature a fifth season. Regardless, it’s most likely probable that the game will be supported on current-generation consoles while the gaming world transitions into a new era of hardware. Still, it’s comforting to know that Warzone will be sticking around the foreseeable future and into the next generation of gaming consoles. With how large of a success the game has been in just a few months’ time, it would only make sense to see it continue on without issue. Battle royales, as a genre, are still incredibly popular, and this is certainly no exception.

  • Infinity Ward confirm they won’t change Modern Warfare minimap – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm they won’t change Modern Warfare minimap At the reveal event for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1 content, content creators were given the opportunity to ask developers anything they wanted about the game – and the minimap came up as in important point of contention. The minimap has been an issue with some players since before the game even launched, with the beta version of the game not having a minimap at all, as Infinity Ward instead opted to use an overhead compass. This was immediately met with vitriol from the community, and by the end of the beta testing period, the game had a minimap back in place but doesn’t show red dots when enemies shoot any longer and is more zoomed in than in previous iterations, displaying less of the map. That’s why it’s no surprise that when certain YouTubers and content creators were invited to check out the new Season 1 content coming to the game and ask about Modern Warfare, the minimap was a major talking point. Speaking with Multiplayer Design Director Joe Cecot, YouTuber Swagg asked about several things including the idea of putting Aniyah Palace in Ground War, the implementation of Dead Silence and balancing different perks. When the minimap question came up, however, Cecot was very clear in his answer. Swagg said “That was a short conversation, he said that’s how they intended the game to be. There was no arguing with him about it. That’s how the game was designed so that players don’t get hunted.” (Timestamp 4:09 for mobile users) He went on to say that himself and New York Subliners’ Dillon ‘Attach’ Price did question this, but Infinity Ward want UAV to be more of a reward. They then asked Cecot, if that is the case, why the Ghost perk is as strong as it is. Cecot agreed with where they were coming from and he’ll “definitely consider [balancing] it.” Swagg goes on to discuss that he thinks all the community wants is the knowledge that Infinity Ward are aware of the problems they are facing, rather than critique being met with silence. The reveal event seemed to be quite fruitful for getting new information and establishing more of a rapport with Infinity Ward over game design decisions, which is undoubtedly a recipe for success down the line if these events continue to occur. That does mean, though, that despite community concerns, the minimap now is probably how it will be for the rest of the game’s lifespan, unless something major changes the minds of those working on it.

  • Infinity Ward confirm Realism mode will be permanent in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm Realism mode will be permanent in Modern Warfare Infinity WardJoe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has confirmed that Realism mode will be added permanently to Modern Warfare following fan demand. Modern Warfare has, among other things, added a host of new modes to shake up the established Call of Duty formula. Ground War has brought a Battlefield-esque flavor to Modern Warfare, while night mode is a playable alternative on a host of maps. Another new playlist introduced in Modern Warfare was Realism mode, essentially a middle ground between the game’s standard Core and Hardcore modes. Players’ HUDs are removed, but TTK remains normal and team-killing is not possible. Recent Warzone changes caused controversy over the mode, after Realism Quads replaced the base version of Quads. However, it appears that the mode is popular among some players, who have demanded it be added permanently to Modern Warfare. The mode has been rotated regularly, in line with Infinity Ward’s regular shake-ups of playlists available to players. It was actually a part of Modern Warfare’s beta, but its presence has been inconsistent in the nine months since launch. However, on June 24, Joe Cecot confirmed that Infinity Ward will add it to ‘Quick Play’ as a filter, meaning it will permanently be an option for those who want to play it. Cecot did not provide a timescale for the addition of the Realism filter but, given the fact it’s a fairly minor adjustment, it’s very possible we’ll see it added in the coming days. Read More: Modern Warfare June 23 full patch notes – There is also the potential for it to be added with Season 4’s mid-season update, which is expected around July 9, but a final date has not yet been confirmed.

  • Infinity Ward confirm new map & Ground War mode coming to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm new map & Ground War mode coming to Modern Warfare Infinity WardInfinity Ward, developers behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have revealed what fans can expect in the week commencing February 24 – and it includes a brand-new multiplayer map. The Call of Duty community have been vocally critical of Infinity Ward for some of their management of Modern Warfare. One particular aspect the developers have come under scrutiny for is their lack of communication; omitting details from patch notes and avoiding comment on controversial topics like skill-based matchmaking. This probably goes some way to explain the detailed information given in regular community updates — the latest of which came on February 21 and revealed a number of features fans can expect in the coming seven days. Undoubtedly the biggest news to come out of the update was the confirmation that the week commencing February 24 will see a new multiplayer map coming to Modern Warfare. The map, named ‘Bazaar,’ is thought to be a Gunfight map — meaning it will be far smaller than a typical six-versus-six map. While no release date for the map was included, Modern Warfare’s larger updates tend to go out on a Tuesday. As a result, February 25 currently seems the most likely date for Bazaar’s launch. Alongside Bazaar, Infinity Ward confirmed a new three-versus-three, Rust–Sniper game mode will be coming, alongside ‘Infantry Ground War.’ The spin on Modern Warfare’s 32 vs 32 game mode will see tanks and APCs disabled, meaning players have to be far less reliant on vehicles and machinery. Finally, a number of general bug fixes are coming to Modern Warfare, dealing with issues around gunsmith, regiment tags and the ‘Pointman’ perk. Large-scale updates – which add troves of new content – have the highest likelihood to add unintended bugs and inconsistencies to any game, so a host of bug fixes is to be expected given the release of Season Two on February 11. As usual, Infinity Ward are likely working hard to resolve any in-game bugs and glitches as swiftly as possible. The full community update is available here.

  • Infinity Ward confirm new area of Warzone map coming – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm new area of Warzone map coming Infinity WardIn a new interview, Call of Duty developers from Infinity Ward revealed that a “whole other part” of Warzone’s map that we haven’t seen yet. Since Warzone released in March, players have gotten very familiar with the Verdansk map, which was actually inspired by several real-world locations in Ukraine. Soon, though, Warzone fans will have a whole new area of Verdansk to explore, according to Taylor Kurosaki of Infinity Ward. In an interview with GamerGen, Kurosaki confirmed that players were correct when they speculated there was much more to Verdansk than what we currently get to play on. “Players have already discovered that there is a whole other part of Verdansk they haven’t seen yet,” he said. “They have found clues, and that there is more than meets the eye in this city.” “Season 4 will unravel some of those mysteries and unlock some of them for our players,” Kurosaki continued. “As the battle in Verdansk wages on, things will grow more desperate.” Even more new content coming for Warzone Season 4 Besides a new map, Kurosaki said that there would also be more new operators available for players to try out as they continue to battle for Verdansk. “As the battle in Verdansk wages on, things will grow more desperate,” he reveals. “There are going to be more and more fighters sent in to turn the tide and we’re very excited to get our players to see and join alongside these new great warriors as they continue to fight.” Related – The Incredible Call of Duty COMEBACKS That Shocked Everyone Exactly how many new operators and how they’ll work is still unknown, but we do know they and the expanded Verdansk map will both be coming with Season 4. Each season of Modern Warfare lasts roughly eight weeks. Season 3 launched on Wednesday, April 8, so we can probably expect Season 4 to launch on or around Wednesday, June 3.

  • Infinity Ward confirm MW2 easter eggs in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm MW2 easter eggs in Modern Warfare Infinity WardCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward have confirmed the presence of multiple Modern Warfare 2 easter eggs in 2019’s Modern Warfare, leading fans to believe there’ll be more on the way. 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has received both praise and criticism for its inclusion of older CoD maps and content. Some fans have enjoyed the opportunity to revisit nostalgic maps like Rust and Vacant, while others have lamented the lack of explicitly ‘new’ content. It seems that it is not just the obvious content – like multiplayer maps – that Modern Warfare is borrowing from its predecessors. Multiple easter eggs and allusions to older Infinity Ward titles have been picked up on by eagle-eyed players. This rang true again on February 28, when one Modern Warfare fan joked: “Really clever IW, really clever.” Attached was an image of multiple easter eggs referencing scenes from the campaign of Modern Warfare 2. Read More: Leaked Warzone battle royale animations – In Modern Warfare, these symbols of iconic scenes feature as weapon charms that players can equip on their guns. The user also confirmed that they think they “might have more” easter eggs, but did not include the ones they were not one-hundred percent sure of. It seemed that they were proved right too, with a member of Infinity Ward’s development staff replying to confirm their presence. Joel Emslie, Infinity Ward’s Art Director, has been taking a greater role in community conversation of late. He replied: “You’re paying attention…good;)”. While there’s every possibility that Emslie’s reply should not be read into, a number of Reddit users took his tongue-in-cheek reply as confirmation that more nostalgia-inspired content will be coming to Modern Warfare soon. There are already hints that we’ll see some DLC maps from the original Modern Warfare, with both Killhouse and Broadcast being found in game files. While this is not confirmation that we will see more nostalgic content, some fans have got understandably excited at Emslie’s comment. Since Season Two featured maps from Modern Warfare 2 like Rust, and the iconic UMP SMG, there is a theory that the third season will add in content from MW3.

  • Infinity Ward confirm multiple fixes in the works for CoD: Warzone – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm multiple fixes in the works for CoD: Warzone Infinity WardJoe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has responded to multiple Twitter users regarding their issues with CoD Warzone, as the battle royale approaches one month old. Since its March 10 release, Call of Duty’s latest battle royale has been lauded by critics and fans alike. Many have praised its fast pace and efficient game mechanics, comparing it favorably to Black Ops 4’s Blackout. However, as is standard with the release of any new game, a number of frustrating glitches and inconsistencies have emerged. Developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software will be quick to iron these out in order to keep Warzone afloat in a saturated battle royale market. Joe Cecot demonstrated this attitude on March 21, replying to a number of Twitter users regarding the bugs they’ve encountered while playing Warzone. Most notably, he confirmed that a fix will be coming to stop people leaving the game once downed and depriving their attacker of the kill. In the game’s current build, downed players can leave a game to prevent the enemy who knocked them from getting the kill. Naturally, this should not happen and players who are downed with no prospect of being revived should reward players with the elimination. Alongside this confirmation, Cecot hinted that Infinity Ward will look at a change allowing allies to be informed when one of their teammates downs an enemy. Currently, it is up to players to verbally communicate to their teammates that they have downed an opponent. An in-game feature would mean players are automatically informed when their teammates knock an enemy. While Cecot did not confirm this, his response suggested IW will look into it. Cecot also responded to an issue semtex grenades, to ensure they down an enemy player if they are stuck. There appears to be a few scenarios in Warzone’s current build that enable players to survive a direct impact. Needless to say, this seems unfair on those accurately throwing their grenades. Later in the day, Cecot also responded to complaints about some of the settings in Warzone when one player asked whether there were plans for a button remap in the works and, more specifically, for the ping button. Currently, Warzone and multiplayer settings are one and the same, but it seems Cecot and the Infinity Ward team are aware that this isn’t the optimal way to play and has said that they’re “working on some stuff.” https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1241870952306061312 Cecot did not provide a detailed timescale on when we can expect to see these adjustments made. However, now they are on Infinity Ward’s radar we can expect to see adjustments made in the near future. You can also keep up to date with fixes coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone on Infinity Ward’s Trello board, and of course we’ll keep you informed on Dexerto.

Then you look at the top of your screen and realize there’s another team still alive, possibly more, but you can’t see them in the circle. That’s been the experience for many of Warzone’s players over the past couple days, as a new glitch is allowing exploitative players to survive in the green fog of the game’s gas for as long as they want with an unlimited supply of Stim Shots. Teams that respect the rules are losing out to sly gas goblins. On the plus side, this shouldn’t remain an issue for much longer, as the developers have confirmed they are aware of the glitch and working on a solution. Hey there! We’re aware of this and have teams working on a solution as we speak. — Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) October 8, 2020 Much of the Call of Duty fanbase is thrilled that the fixes for the glitched AS VAL SSP 10-R mags and SP-R .300 Norma and .338 Lapua mags were finally deployed on October 8. The two weapons were broken and unbearable for players given the former’s ability to kill through multiple walls and the latter’s capacity to remain hitscan within 450 meters of range. But, while those nerfs came through within just around a week of Modern Warfare and Warzone’s Season 6 update, the community may not be comfortable waiting as long for a fix to the unlimited Stim Shot glitch. At the moment, popular streamers and competitive players seem to have joined the masses in expressing serious frustration with the glitch. Among others, Call of Duty League caster Clint ‘Maven’ Evans has criticized the bug for numerous dissatisfying losses. Three straight losses to the unlimited stim bug. I think Warzone is an experiment to test my sanity. — Clint “”Maven”” Evans (@Maven) October 8, 2020 While not wanting to spread exactly how the glitch is performed and widen its presence, it is not particularly difficult to achieve and simply requires three items: a frag, a stim, and a self-revive kit. As such, it presents one of the game’s more notorious bugs and should be a major priority for a quick patch. At the moment, Infinity Ward have confirmed a fix is in the works and that it remains “in progress” according to the team’s Trello board. As always, we will update as soon as things change, but, for now, remember to keep an eye on the gas when you deploy in Verdansk.

  • Infinity Ward confirm fix for frustrating menu glitches in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm fix for frustrating menu glitches in Modern Warfare Infinity WardJoel Emslie, Art Director at Infinity Ward, has confirmed via Reddit that fixes will be coming for the frustrating menu and Calling Card bugs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare’s Season Two is in full flow, with fans excited for both new maps and new game modes. Alongside the plethora of new content on offer for players, a number of bug fixes should be finalized over the course of Season Two. While such a big update will naturally cause new issues and inconsistencies, this particular issue has been rearing its head for some time now, much to the frustration of fans. It involves the main multiplayer menu, and a visual prompt to players to inform them that they have a new item to view. This visual prompt comes in the form of a green dot at the top right of the relevant box. However, the green dots have apparently not been disappearing as intended, even once players have viewed all their new items. There have been multiple complaints about the issue, but thankfully on February 22, Infinity Ward developer Joel Emslie provided fans with an update. “We are pushing to get a clear all current green dots in the menus button,” he said. “Hoping sometime in the near future stay tuned.” He was then pressed on why they don’t just fix the Calling Card glitch the user had asked about, in which players are repeatedly told they have a new card in their barracks. Despite no new Calling Card actually existing, players are met with the green dot prompt, and there is no way of getting rid of it. In response to a user asking why they don’t specifically fix the Calling Card glitch, Emslie simply responded: “Both.” This one goes out to all who are putting up with this green square right now. We stand together. pic.twitter.com/WI7Zicc8Xv— Jme (@JmeBBK) February 15, 2020 As a result it sounds irrelevant which bug is plaguing players, as they will both hopefully be fixed in the near future. Emslie offered no timeframe for the fixes however, so it’s not entirely clear when they’ll make their way into the game. Despite not being the most significant issue in Modern Warfare, it’s fair to say that it’s frustrating players who simply want to clear their menu of green dots.

  • Infinity Ward confirm 4 much-needed Warzone fixes coming in update – Dexerto

Infinity Ward confirm 4 much-needed Warzone fixes coming in update Activision / Infinity WardInfinity Ward have confirmed that four key Warzone issues will be fixed in an upcoming update, with more fixes in the pipeline for their Battle Royale and Plunder modes. Call of Duty: Warzone has been a raging success following the game’s launch, with over 15 million players dropping into Verdansk in the first three days after launch. For context, Apex Legends only managed to attract 10 million players within the same timeframe (still a phenomenal figure), while Fortnite lagged behind significantly in comparison. Of course, Infinity Ward will be doing everything in its power to maintain Warzone’s active player base. Additional content has already been promised, but another part of the developer’s pledge is to ensure the game runs as smoothly as possible. And per Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare Tracker, they are already listening to the community and actively working on the issues that might be ruining players’ Warzone experience. What have Infinity Ward fixed? It appears that the Modern Warfare developers have already been hard at work, fixing the common revival and animation bugs, while also mending a minor connection issue. Fixes for these issues will be coming in a future update. Players will rarely see full-screen black corruption when naturally progressing through the map. – Players who are the last to die and attempt to leave the game, they’ll see a ‘your squad can still revive you’ message even though there are no squadmates alive. – Players who disconnect from a match will not drop any items that they were carrying. – Players can become stuck in a stow away animation state when the player revives and immediately cancels the revive animation. – What are Infinity Ward working on? Alongside the above fixes (which are likely to be pushed live on March 17), Infinity Ward are looking into fixing some other issues, the most major of which are listed below — for the full list, please visit Infinity Ward’s Tracker. Adjusting when teammates get credit for a kill when they finish off a downed enemy. – Players will be unable to use the Plunder Balloon if they set their reload/use behavior to “contextual tap.” – Plunder – Players going into consecutive matches are seeing it end shortly after joining. – Players can get stuck under a Buy Station if going prone while interacting with it. – Reports of a bug that could kick players from a match if they became stuck on the loading screen. – The animation for the player’s character equipping a gas mask will interrupt and block the player from deploying their parachute. – There are also a plethora of multiplayer issues that Infinity Ward have fixed, including the micro-stuttering issue that some Xbox players were reporting, alongside the infamous Tactical Insertion glitch on Rust where players would respawn in random locations, despite placing their Tac Insert down near the Oil Derrick. So it appears that alongside keeping Modern Warfare’s issues at bay, Infinity Ward are also prioritizing any reported issues in their free-to-play Battle Royale game mode.

  • Infinity Ward on concerns over Modern Warfare microtransactions: “We hear you” – Dexerto

Infinity Ward on concerns over Modern Warfare microtransactions: “We hear you” Infinity WardThe Call of Duty community has been outspoken in recent weeks about the future of microtransactions in Modern Warfare, and Infinity Ward’s senior communication manager has attempted to alleviate those growing concerns. Fans of the long-standing franchise have expressed their displeasure with the move into more microtransactions in recent releases. On top of that, Call of Duty developers often hold back revealing the MTX details until the game has already dropped. This time around, the community is less than eager to be potentially stung by hefty costs on cosmetics and in-game items once they’ve already purchased the base game, and some have taken to social media to demand early information. “Have there been any extensive interviews with the developers asking them what to expect in Modern Warfare’s MTX system?” asked Reddit user FeelThisMoment. Read more: Reciprocity players announce free agency – “Every interview I’ve seen is sooo concerned about things like gunplay, map design, multiplayer modes, campaign, but I’m not seeing a single interview where the interviewer is picking at their brains regarding MTX.” The concern is one held by most of the CoD community, but many believed the developers wouldn’t respond at all. Infinity Ward’s senior communication manager Ashton Williams defied expectations, providing fans with a small update on when news would be released. “Please be patient. We hear you. We’ll share more as we get closer to launch,” Williams said in response to the popular post on August 28. “We’ll say more when we’re ready. Thanks!” While Williams’ update didn’t give too many clues about what microtransactions will be like in the upcoming title, Infinity War has been very forthcoming with the new features they will be bringing to the franchise. Most recently beta testers found new aim assist options in the game, and developer Joe Cecot confirmed these were for all levels of players. It has also been confirmed Modern Warfare will have full cross-play compatibility between consoles and PC. Modern Warfare is set to release October 25, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Infinity Ward claims they will ‘welcome criticism’ about Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward claims they will ‘welcome criticism’ about Modern Warfare Infinity Ward/ActivisionInfinity Ward, developers of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have explained how they will approach communication over the game’s life cycle, as they aim to be “transparent”. Since its official announcement on May 30, fans have been incredibly excited about the prospect of a Call of Duty title with a modern setting, particularly given its shared namesake with the acclaimed Modern Warfare series. However, some fans are already concerned at the relatively small amount of the game that has been shown. For example, at E3, many fans expected to finally get a hold of some gameplay, but all that was released were two new screenshots. The discretion from Infinity Ward has led to some fans accusing the developers of hiding things from fans, which has caused senior Communications Manager at Infinity Ward, Ashton Williams, to respond. Replying via Reddit on June 14, Williams thanked a fan (Reddit u/Bizquiick) for their kind words, after they posted a lengthy message encouraging fans to be respectful towards developers. She explained that, as a specific communications employee, she would be the first port of call in terms of replying to fans, and that they won’t respond to “toxic” messages. However, she also divulged information regarding how Infinity Ward plan to communicate with fans during Modern Warfare’s life-cycle. “If you look at how we managed communication with Infinite Warfare on here, it will be similar (obviously there’s always room to improve), and we’ll be as transparent with you as we can be,” she explained. The thread also went on to say that they (Infinity Ward) welcome complaints and criticism, “just as long as they’re said in a way that we can respond to.” When asked whether they had considered the inclusion of a Field of View slider on consoles, Williams refrained from replying, and said that they will “dig into some of these questions as we go along. Have patience with us”. Black Ops 4 setting a bad precedent? “Transparency” from developers is something that fans have accused Treyarch of lacking with Black Ops 4. This has lead to some strong comments and criticism from the community, prompting some lead developer David Vonderhaar to publicly denounce such vitriol. One glaring example is when Black Ops 3 first released back in late 2015, and fans were told by Treyarch that supply drop content would be “cosmetic only”. However, this promise evaporated just a few months into the game, as a host of supply drop exclusive weapons were added. Similarly, Black Ops 4 added weapons exclusively to supply drops in their Summer update, sparking a familiar controversy. Despite the secrecy with which Infinity Ward is approaching their game, it is clear how much emphasis they will be placing on communication with their fans. This is something that Call of Duty developers have been accused of flouting in the past, such as avoiding questions about micro-transactions.

  • Infinity Ward already changing Modern Warfare campaign because it’s so “disturbing” – Dexerto

Infinity Ward already changing Modern Warfare campaign because it’s so “disturbing” Infinity WardInfinity Ward are already making changes to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare dialogue that was shown off at E3 2019, after deciding that it was too disturbing to be left in. Infinity Ward used the annual E3 trade fair to give people a taste of what’s to come, with studio art director Joel Emslie and single-player design director Jacob Minkoff presenting some harrowing campaign footage at the event. A handful of YouTubers and the press also saw some of this content early, but some of what they saw won’t make the final cut – so disturbing that it will be removed before release. A report from Kotaku already confirms that at least one of the lines of dialogue will be left on the cutting room floor, with the creative team still trying to work out just how much ‘discomfort’ they would like to include. One of the missions, according to the article, states that a young Ursekstan (a fictional middle eastern country in the game) girl experiences the death of both her mother and father, before a Russian soldier considers handing her over to a commanding officer because he “likes the young ones.” That line will not be included in the final version of Modern Warfare, but does give us an indication of the level of disturbing themes that could unfold during the story. The project’s single-player design director has also indicated, per the report, that the interaction of colleagues during missions can change, reflective of your performance in the role of a solider. For example, taking the action to go rogue and shooting a civilian would have consequences in-game. “If you comport yourself in a way not befitting a soldier, the game will fail you,” Minkoff said. “We have a lot of heuristics running behind the scenes to try to determine: Are you a freaking psycho who’s just shooting everything? Fine. But if you’re really trying to do your job and you’re just like, ‘Oh God damn it, I made a mistake and I feel really bad about that,’ we want you to feel that. We want you to really sit with that.” The next installment of the Modern Warfare franchise was revealed on May 30, and has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, as fans look towards its October 25 launch. With the game very much based on realistic emotions and experiences inside a fictional world, the choice really will be yours as to how you intend to approach a role on the modern day battlefield.

  • Infinity Ward adds ‘Tiger King’ bundle to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Infinity Ward adds ‘Tiger King’ bundle to Modern Warfare Infinity WardCall of Duty fans will now have the chance to rock some ‘Tiger King’ inspired cosmetic items in Modern Warfare and Warzone following the April 28 update. The newly released Tiger King miniseries on Netflix has gone viral in recent weeks for its bizarre concept and characters. Fans already thought that Modern Warfare had used the show as inspiration for their Yegor skin, although it was up for debate. There’s no doubt about it this time though, with the new Fire Claw bundle. As the show has created quite a buzz online, Infinity Ward has added to the hype by releasing a new cosmetic bundle in Modern Warfare, paying homage to the Netflix hit. As with previous Fire Claw bundles, the new weapon pack features three tiger-themed items, however, fans have noticed that this time around, the graphic used to promote the pack included a lookalike of Tiger King’s main character, Joe Exotic. While the Tiger King inspired graphic itself is not available as a calling card in-game, there are many other items in the pack which will likely suit fans of the series. The new weapon pack will be available for 1100 CoD points in Modern Warfare’s store and players who pick up will receive a rare charm, a rare spray, and a legendary weapon blueprint for the AUG submachine gun. The legendary AUG blueprint is in line with the pack’s theme as it features claw marks, tiger stripes, and even a tiger’s face on the side of the weapon. With a new charm and in-game spray available as well, players can be fully kitted out in tiger gear next time they hop on Modern Warfare or Warzone. Modern Warfare’s Fire Claw III bundle By the Toe – Legendary AUG Blueprint – My Dominion – Rare Spray – Big Kitty – Rare Charm – This is not the first time that Modern Warfare developers have added new content into the game which was believed to be inspired by Tiger King. One of their recent variations for Operator Yegor seemed to resemble Joe Exotic’s ex-husband, John Finlay.

  • Infinity Ward finally addresses Modern Warfare’s Dead Silence controversy – Dexerto

Infinity Ward finally addresses Modern Warfare’s Dead Silence controversy Infinity Ward has finally addressed the Call of Duty community’s concerns over the Dead Silence field upgrade, and revealed how long players will have to wait before the potential changes arrive. The highly anticipated release of Modern Warfare arrived last week, and with it came a host of new and returning CoD players dropping into Infinity Ward’s ninth entry into the massive FPS franchise. While many have already praised the series’ 2019 release, the community has also found a number of issues with the game, including server failures, problems with the title’s map design, and a bizarre teleporting bug triggered by tactical insertions. Another problem that has been discovered is a glitch with the Dead Silence upgrade, which has been failing to mask the sound of player’s footsteps at all, despite the rechargeable boost suggesting it would “make your footsteps quieter for a short time.” MW fans flagged the issue with the game’s developers, and IW’s multiplayer design co-director Joe Cecot confirmed the team was planning to bring a fix as soon as possible, though it would still take some time to send the patch live. Read more: Scump proves he’s ‘not done’ with rapid ace – “A fix is in the works, but it’s a change that we can’t do instantly,” Cecot told concerned fans after asked on Twitter. “It’s coming!” We have. It’s coming! — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) October 27, 2019 The to-be-fixed glitch isn’t the only drama that has surrounded the Dead Silence either, with players also calling for the upgrade to be changed into a park to combat map-camping strategies in multiplayer. The devs have already proven they’re ready to change aspects of the game as well though, adding mini-map changes to the title after its October 25 release, and adjusting multiplayer spawn quality after a raft of player complaints.

  • Infinite Cluster Strike exploit in Warzone is wiping out lobbies – Dexerto

Infinite Cluster Strike exploit in Warzone is wiping out lobbies Infinity WardA bizarre Warzone exploit has been found which is seemingly giving players unlimited Cluster Strike killstreaks, possibly through a hack or just a glitch. Killstreaks have become a staple of Call of Duty multiplayer modes and fans were generally happy to see they would also feature in Modern Warfare’s battle royale, Warzone. These Warzone killstreaks, which include the likes of UAVs and Precision Airstrikes, can only be found at a Buy Station and are quite situational, as they can cost players a significant amount of cash with each use. However, it seems as if some players have found a way around paying for their killstreaks, after it was revealed that an infinite Cluster Strike exploit had been plaguing some matches. The Cluster Strike killstreak allows players to mark a location on the map before it fires a barrage of missiles down on the surrounding area. They can be particularly useful in targeting enemies on a roof or in the late-game in a tight circle. Popular YouTuber jackfrags was among the players to fall victim to someone with this bizarre exploit and highlighted just how overpowered it can be. Topic starts at 9:52 Near the end of one of his latest matches, jackfrags noticed that an unusual amount of Cluster Strikes had been called in near him as he was trying to make his way to the final circle. The missiles appear to rain down endlessly. The YouTuber was then sniped out his Tactical Rover and, despite his efforts with a self-revive kit, was quickly finished by the oncoming barrage of missiles. After spectating the rest of his game and watching this unusual Cluster Strike exploit, he claimed that it was quite likely that the opponent was using hacks to win the game. “It seems like they’ve just got unlimited Cluster Strikes or something, I think that guy is a hacker and I reckon that shot he took was an aimbot,” he added. While it is still unclear just what caused this infinite killstreak glitch, it can be devastating in-game and it is likely that the Warzone devs will be looking to get a fix rolled out ASAP.

  • Infinite ammo glitch in Warzone makes Type 11 LMG unstoppable – Dexerto

Infinite ammo glitch in Warzone makes Type 11 LMG unstoppable Treyarch/ActivisionA Warzone glitch involving the Type 11 Vanguard LMG is giving players infinite ammo, meaning they never have to reload the weapon. While LMGs are certainly less popular than ARs and SMGs in Warzone overall, they do have their place in the meta and are perfect for long-range engagements. The magazine size alone makes it possible to take out a whole squad of enemies without reloading as long as you’re pinpoint accurate. However, if you do miss your shots, an LMG’s reload time can easily be punished, especially if an opponent is running an SMG. Well, that was until players discovered a glitch with the Type 11 that means you never have to reload, meaning the gun can be fired infinitely at enemies from a distance. Infinite ammo glitch makes the Type 11 “broken” in Warzone Not long after jumping into a match on Caldera with the Type 11, Reddit user Remy363 discovered a glitch that makes the gun unstoppable at medium to long-range. While reloading the weapon, Remy363 quickly swapped to their secondary before the animation had finished. After switching back, they realized the gun was back up to full ammunition. This meant that all they had to do was start the reload, swap weapons, and then carry on firing after they’d switched back. Unsurprisingly, this makes the Type 11 absolutely “broken” from a distance, as it’s possible to fire bullets infinitely. It’s worth noting that Remy363 was running 30 Round Mags, so it’s possible this could be the attachments triggering the bug. Although the Type 11 isn’t a particularly popular gun, there are no doubts players will abuse this exploit if it remains in the game. While it’s possible to take out an opponent using the glitch, the relentless gunfire will make it incredibly difficult to peak. Let’s just hope Raven is aware of the problem and is working on a fix, but with so many other in-game issues plaguing Caldera, they’ve definitely got their hands full.

  • Infected is returning to Modern Warfare 2 and fans are delighted – Dexerto

Infected is returning to Modern Warfare 2 and fans are delighted Infinity WardInfinity Ward announced that the fan-favorite party game mode Infected is making a return in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2. Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 begins on February 15, and fans already know Hardcore and Ranked Play will return. Rumors also suggested Gunfight would come back, but Call of Duty insider CharlieINTEL dashed those hopes, much to the dismay of multiplayer fans. In October 2022, notable leaker GhostOfHope revealed a list of fan-favorite game modes possibly coming to MW2, including Infected, Uplink, and Cyber Attack. Infinity Ward already added Cyber Attack, and the leak got another mode correct. In a move that lifted fans disappointed by the Gunfight news, the developers confirmed Infected is coming back. Modern Warfare 2 players celebrate Infected announcement Infected made its Call of Duty debut in Modern Warfare 3 and appeared in eight mainline series entries after. Modern Warfare 2019’s iteration spawned 18 players in random locations around the map with a random weapon. After a 15-second countdown, one of the lobby members becomes the first infected, and it’s their responsibility to infect other players with only a knife, throwing knife, and tactical insertion at their disposal. The match ends with either all players becoming infected or survivors making it until the end of the time limit. A Call of Duty fan Tweeted, “playing infected on Call of Duty with friends is the greatest feeling in the world.” Activision retweeted the post and said, “we agree. See you Feb. 15,” confirming the mode’s return for Season 2. One player responded, “modes like this will bring me back to the game. I love chill modes to play in between pub matches.” A second user added, “Finally, Infected is the best party mode.” Warzone 2 streamer Lucky Chamu suggested the game mode be added to the upcoming Resurgence map, Ashika Island. “Throw it on the island map too.” We will provide more information on the multiplayer content coming during Season 2 when the developers unveil a full roadmap.

  • Infamous Warzone god mode hack is making an appearance on Caldera – Dexerto

Infamous Warzone god mode hack is making an appearance on Caldera ActivisionWarzone has a long history with hacking and, despite the anti-cheat, players are still running into issues. Now, the game’s infamous “god mode” cheat is being spotted for the first time since the shift to Pacific’s Caldera. Hacking has been a lingering issue in Warzone where some weeks are worse than others. With variations of aim bots, incognito hacks, and even flying cars, players have reached their breaking point with cheaters. However, one of the most frustrating versions comes in the form of god mode, which allows the user to become immune to all damage. While it feels like an eternity since this hack was running around Verdansk, it appears that it is crashing the party on Caldera and ruining matches in Season 1 Pacific. Warzone god mode hack spotted on Caldera In a Reddit post by ‘international93,’ the user posted a video with the title “What is going here? New exploit? New hack?” Unfortunately, it appears that the community’s worst fear has returned from the grave. To put it bluntly, it looks like god mode is back. In the clip, you can see that the player is blasting the enemy with a full magazine of bullets but isn’t getting a hit marker. The cheat looks like a superhero just running through all the bullets. To get some sort of victory ineternal93 said “I quit out before they could kill me haha. I wasn’t giving them the satisfaction.” The community doesn’t even feel like denying it this time as the comment section was filled with sarcasm and jokes. One Redditor posted a classic copypasta saying, “Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.” Another person found comedic relief from the clip, “this shit is hilarious LOL, sorry.” This is seemingly the first time that this hack has popped up on Caldera but players are hopeful that with the delay of Season 2, these issues will be fixed.

  • Infamous Warzone ‘demon gun glitch’ is back in Season 5 – Dexerto

Infamous Warzone ‘demon gun glitch’ is back in Season 5 Infinity WardUnfortunately for Warzone players, the infamous ‘demon gun glitch’ has returned, despite Infinity Ward releasing a patch that was meant to eradicate the bug. Despite the frequency with which some Warzone bugs have affected players, none have been as pervasive as the ‘demon gun glitch’. Following the Season 5 launch at the start of August, many players experienced the bug, which distorts the player’s gun model and obscures large portions of the screen. Given the severity of the issue, Infinity Ward pushed through a patch at high speed, which sought to fix the issue. This patch released on August 15 and, for most players, appeared to sort the problems. However, it appears that the glitch can still occur in certain scenarios, as popular streamer and Warzone competitor MuTeX found out on August 22. While enjoying some Quads in front of his large Twitch following, the streamer picked up an enemy’s HDR sniper rifle, only to find it was afflicted with the aforementioned glitch, instantly obscuring much of his screen. “What?” he shouted. “I got the f**king gun glitch! What?” He was forced to abandon the sniper rifle and continue with the Origin 12 shotgun which, as anyone who’s played Warzone will know, is not the ideal weapon for any situation. NO FUCKING WAY ITS BACKK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pic.twitter.com/S9026dl7yd — MuTeX (@FF_MuTeX) August 23, 2020 Infinity Ward are yet to reply to the most recent incarnation of the ‘demon gun glitch’, but it’s fair to say that its frequency has reduced significantly since the August 15 patch went live. However, it now seems to be affecting certain weapons, like the affected HDR MuTeX tried to pick up. Whether another patch is in the works remains to be seen, but we’ll be the first to update you as the situation becomes clearer.

  • Infamous Warzone cheat provider to make hacking tools completely free – Dexerto

Infamous Warzone cheat provider to make hacking tools completely free ActivisionNotorious Warzone cheat provider EngineOwning will be making hacks completely free as the battle with Activision’s Richochet wages on. EngineOwning has been a major pain for Activision and Warzone players looking for a hacker-free experience, frequently selling new hacks to those who don’t want to play fair. In January, the German site was hit with a massive lawsuit by Activision, alleging that their hacks had resulted in “millions of dollars” in damages. However, the hack provider refused to back down and released new Call of Duty Vanguard cheats in response. Now, they announced that hacks will be free, right as Ricochet takes aim at those caught hacking in-game. In case you didn’t see yet, we just released an announcement regarding our future plans:https://t.co/v0CLqAG9sv tl;dr: added the ability to save and load different Hardware Profiles for the Spoofer, MW/WZ Cheat will be split into 2 version, one being completely free. — EngineOwning.to (@engineowningto) March 3, 2022 EngineOwning announces Warzone hacks will be free In a forum post, the site laid out its plans to combat Ricochet, including changes made to their Spoofer to prevent the anti-cheat from detecting hacks being used. They went on to reveal that they would be releasing a free version of a Modern Warfare and Warzone cheat – something they claim would appeal to non-customers. “The cheat will only have ESP and Radar with a limited range of 100, there will also be no Misc Features,” they announced. “The original version will still be available for purchase for those who prefer the complete cheating experience, and security of the paid version will not be affected by the free version.” The site further added that an Overwatch hack would be available soon, which could be bad news for Activision-Blizzard as a rumored OW2 beta seems to be fast approaching. As the fight against cheaters wages on, this new development could certainly be a major twist, especially if the game sees a massive increase in hackers that could further push aggravated players to other titles. Ricochet has been a pain for hackers, however, with the anti-cheat trolling them by making enemies invisible. We’ll have to see if Activision can keep it up or if the hacking groups end up pulling ahead once again.

  • Infamous CoD Burner ‘Leaks’ Big Money Offer Apparently Made For Luminosity’s John – Dexerto

Infamous CoD Burner ‘Leaks’ Big Money Offer Apparently Made For Luminosity’s John The infamous ‘CoDburner’ account is back and leaking what they claim to be a $250,000 per year, for two years, buyout offer for Luminosity’s Johnathon “John” Perez. Despite attempts to uncover the mystery leaker’s identity, the CoD Burner has not been dissuaded, even starting a dedicated sub Reddit page in order to release what is claimed to be insider information. In the first major post since doing so, the CoD Burner claims to have ‘confirmation’ that Luminosity have received an offer of $500,000 for the acquisition of John, on a two year deal. If this figure seems surprisingly high, well that’s because it is. However, the burner account claims to have specific knowledge of John’s current buyout amount – $200,000. Of course, all of these figures are unconfirmed, but given the burner account’s track record, and the affirmation from those within the community that some of the information leaked so far is accurate, it should not be ignored. “I have confirmation that John has a huge offer, supposed to be bigger then ZooMaa’s. $500K for 2 years. I heard the buyout price for John is $200K, since LG doesn’t want to let him go because they want to build around him and FormaL. If LG matches [this offer], it’s a win-win for John though.” As an added note, the burner account says he believes Rise Nation’s Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat may have a similar offer on the table, hence why he turned down an offer to join 100 Thieves (according to the CoD Burner). As for who is offering such a large amount of money? The CoD Burner has very little details on this, citing only “a rich guy” with no known organization association – so take from that what you will. He also says that a $250K a year offer for John is only slightly higher than ZooMaa’s (according to the Burner) $240K a year contract with FaZe. As with everything from this notorious CoD Burner, it is far from confirmed, and although it provides an insight, it must be treated with caution.

Infamous ‘CoD Burner’ claims H3CZ & Muddawg already know that competitive CoD will change to 5v5 H3CZ, Twitter – MLGReports have surfaced that two influential members in the sphere have already been made aware that the Call of Duty World League will be changing its competitive format for the Black Ops 4 season. According to the mysterious and infamous ‘CoDBurner,’ OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez and 100 Thieves’ Head of Esports Operations Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders have already been told by CWL officials that the league will be adopting a 5v5 format for the upcoming season. These claims were initially made on Reddit, and followed up by a post released by the Twitter account tracking the CoDBurner. “someone told me hecz and muddawg know its 5v5 which lines up with what i heard. that psn leak of the 5v5 tourney nearly seals it for me. wheres /u/mlgAdam when we need him?” There will be no real way of knowing whether these claims made by the CoDBurner are indeed true, since neither H3CZ nor Muddawg are likely to reveal that they had prior knowledge. However, there has not even been any confirmation about the format change, which could make all of this a moot point if the CWL decides to stick with 4v4. There has been constant debate among many in the community as to whether competitive should become 5v5 or stay at 4v4, and H3CZ has publicly been on the side of change. One way or another, players, orgs, and fans will have to wait until Activision reveals the upcoming season’s competitive format in a live-stream on September 19.

  • ‘Warzone’ developer starts GoFundMe to fight Activision lawsuit – Dexerto

‘Warzone’ developer starts GoFundMe to fight Activision lawsuit Activision/WarzoneAn indie game developer is facing a legal battle with Activision over the “Warzone” trademark, despite launching their game three years before the massively popular battle royale title. Released back in March of 2020, Warzone has grown into one of the most popular shooter titles ever made. The game’s free-to-play model and integration into the main Call of Duty series have drawn in a staggering amount of players since its launch. Despite this, Activision is not the only publisher with a game called “Warzone” and the multi-million dollar company is doing everything in its power to secure the trademark. Unfortunately, an indie developer who also has a strategy game called “Warzone” is being targeted and is now facing a legal battle with Activision. The dev has now set up a GoFundMe so he can dispute Activision’s claims and keep the trademark for himself. Warzone browser game set to take on Activision in legal battle Randy Ficker, owner, and developer of the “Warzone” strategy game launched his title all the way back in 2017. Having dedicated himself to building up and creating a single game over the last decade, “Warzone” remains his only source of income as he’s the only person that works on the title. Despite launching the game over three years before Activision’s huge battle royale title, the publisher filed a lawsuit against the indie developer on April 8th, 2021. Determined to retain the Warzone trademark, Ficker has set up a GoFundMe to hopefully raise enough money to take on Activision and win the lawsuit. With a goal of $50,000 total, the dev has already raised over $12,000 in just 18 hours. It’s obvious Fickerisn’t willing to back down and is shocked at Activision’s decision to file a lawsuit. “It shocked me, though, that they filed for the trademark of Warzone… That’s the exact same name as my game!” Ficker has promised that a 100% of the funds raised will go to taking on Activision and has thanked any donors for supporting indie gaming. While it’s unclear how the legal battle will play out for the developer at this time, the overwhelming support from the gaming community has at least given him the opportunity to defend the trademark. We’ll make sure to keep track of the lawsuit and update you on the conclusion of the legal battle once it’s taken place.

  • Incredibly broken under the map Warzone exploit at Prison is unstoppable – Dexerto

Incredibly broken under the map Warzone exploit at Prison is unstoppable ActivisionWarzone players are once again having to deal with enemies getting under the map and being impossible to kill, with Prison having a pretty broken spot now. Since Warzone launched over a year ago, Raven Software have been in a battle to spot hackers, cheats, and trolls from completely ruining the battle royale experience. The devs have shut down a whole host of aim botters, god mode users, and wall hackers, and have started cracking down on players who get under the map. These under the map spots are pretty deadly, especially if the zone rotates to them, as players can sit under the map and pick off enemies without fear of being killed themselves. Well, while Raven stated that they’d be addressing a few of these spots in Season 3, players are still able to utilize a few of them. That includes a spot under Prison where, as Redditor khentimentu shows, players who use the exploit can just simply sit under the map, pick off enemies, and stroll away with the win. What makes the Prison spot a little different is the fact that, for starters, the exploiter is a few levels underneath their final enemy, and two, they are able to pick up items. In other spots we’ve seen, you can’t actually pick up other items, which makes this one a little more busted. A few of these spots have been ultra situational in the past, because the circle simply won’t rotate to them. However, in this case, the player using the exploit was perfectly fine as the circle pretty much followed their path. It remains to be seen if Raven will address these spots further than they already have.

  • Incredible Statistics of the OpTic Gaming CoD Dynasty (2015-2018) – Dexerto

Incredible Statistics of the OpTic Gaming CoD Dynasty (2015-2018) MLGMay 6, 2018 will go down as one of the most notorious and publicized days in Call of Duty RosterMania history. On that day, the OpTic Gaming CoD roster, one which was considered by many as the greatest of all time, was split up with two of the players leaving the team. In the three-plus years since they came together, the quartet of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, Mathew ‘FormaL’ Piper, and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow dominated the CoD esports scene. The teammates won 13 major championships together, and their victory at the 2017 CWL Championships cemented their legacy as a dynasty. Now that the roster has been reshaped, it is worth looking back at exactly how dominant the team was over the past several years. ‘JPKrez,’ of the competitive CoD stats team ‘CoDStats,’ has provided a look at the fabled OpTic Gaming dynasty by the numbers. His statistics display the roster’s winning percentage of each LAN gametype within the four games that the team competed in. (Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare, WWII) Overall LAN Gametype W-L Records: Hardpoint: 226-85 (72.67%) SnD: 165-98 (62.74%) CTF: 59-25 (70.24%) Uplink: 125-36 (77.64%) Championships: 4 out of 7 possible (57%) – Best Game Mode: Capture the Flag 88.89% (8-1) – Championships: 5 out of 9 possible (56%) – Best Game Mode: Hardpoint 86.49% (32-5) – Championships: 4 out of 8 possible (50%) – Best Game Mode: Search and Destroy 76.09% (70-22) – Championships: 0 out of 6 possible (0%) – Best Game Mode: Hardpoint 65.91% (58-30) – Perhaps the most telling statistic of the bunch is the one for Search and Destroy. S&D is considered by many to be the most important game mode, and is often used in the phrase “S&D wins championships.” Therefore, it must come as no surprise that their highest season in terms of S&D winning percentage was during the IW season (76.09%), which was arguably their best season as they won four major championships, including CoD Champs. The only season in which the team did not have an S&D winning percent over 50% was during the current WWII season, in which they did not win a single major trophy.

  • Incredible clip shows just how powerful Black Ops 4’s Purifier really is – Dexerto

Incredible clip shows just how powerful Black Ops 4’s Purifier really is TreyarchSpecialists have long been a contentious point amongst Call of Duty fans, with a section of players welcoming their addition while others yearn for a return to classic gameplay. One thing that isn’t up for discussion is the power of these Specialists, with some of the them providing players with immensely powerful weapons or abilities that can change the momentum of a game entirely, and even secure the victory. One of these incredibly powerful Specialists is Firebreak’s Purifier, and a clip recently uploaded to the /r/BlackOps4 subreddit proved just how strong this weapon really is. 500The video, which was uploaded by /u/IPlayRengarxd, takes place on Nuketown, a classic Call of Duty map that has been updated to be set at a Russian nuclear testing site. In the clip, /u/IPlayRengarxd can be seen pulling out the Purifier, which is a massive flamethrower exclusive to the Purifier specialist, and began to burn his opponents as he goes on an incredible spree around the map. The range of the weapon is terrifying, spraying out across the map and torching enemies in a devastating spree that sees 10 enemies killed in just 30 seconds. This clip has once again opened discussion about Specialists in Call of Duty, with some of the commenters on the post stating that the Purifier is too strong and needs to be nerfed, while others questioned if Specialists had a place in the series at all. YouTuber TheXclusiveAce shared the same feelings in a YouTube video uploaded on January 5, where he said that the Specialists in Black Ops 4 were “way too much” and felt it would affect the longevity of the game.

  • Top business website claims Immortals buyout of Infinite and OpTic has been finalized – Dexerto

Top business website claims Immortals buyout of Infinite and OpTic has been finalized Immortals / MLGIt appears that the Immortals Gaming Club’s buyout of OpTic Gaming and their parent company Infinite Esports & Entertainment has finally gone through. On June 5, Crunchbase, a reputable source for information on private and public business, updated their profile page of Infinite to show that they had been acquired by Immortals Gaming Club. Considering that OpTic Gaming are part of Infinite, then it’s more than likely that the Green Wall is now under the control of Immortals as well, assuming that Crunchbase’s profile is correct. It must be noted that this information has not been officially announced by any of the parties involved, so the finalization of the buyout remains unconfirmed. Furthermore, the Crunchbase website, as prominent and oft-used as it is, apparently gives all users who create an account the ability to make edits and changes on existing profiles and business pages. While its not clear to what extent these changes can be made, it does leaves the door open for the possibility that the change was edited in by someone who has no knowledge of the situation. If this news does end up being correct, it will not come as a major shock to most, considering that there has been heavy speculation for weeks that Immortals were the front-runners to acquire Infinite. As for OpTic, CEO Hector ‘H3CZ‘ Rodriguez had already confirmed that he had put in a bid to purchase the Green Wall back from Infinite, although he did suggest that the ownership was leaning towards accepting the opposition bid over his. Read More: Ex-CLG CEO explain why OpTic will be sold to Immortals over H3CZ regardless of offer size – Considering the lack of further information and announcements, there is still the possibility that he was able to buy back OpTic, while Immortals were given control over the rest of Infinite. This would be the optimal outcome for the org, since it’s been widely discussed that the owners would likely look to dissolve the brand and disband its teams if they gained control. Again, this news has not yet been officially announced or confirmed, which means that there is always a chance that it could prove to be incorrect or premature. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest on this ongoing story as more information becomes available.

  • Immortals give update on H3CZ’s position within OpTic Gaming organization – Dexerto

Immortals give update on H3CZ’s position within OpTic Gaming organization Immortals Gaming Club has provided an update on the status of Hector ‘H3CZ‘ Rodriguez, the long-time CEO largely credited with the growth of the OpTic Gaming brand, which Immortals now owns. Following Immortals’ $100 million acquisition of Infinite Esports & Entertainment, which included OpTic’s Call of Duty, CS:GO, League of Legends and Overwatch (as Houston Outlaws) teams, H3CZ’s involvement in the organization has been unclear. Giving an update on his position, A representative from Immortals has told Unikrn that Rodriguez “remains a shareholder” in the OpTic Gaming brand, but “would not comment” on if he still had any involvement in the day-to-day operations of the organization. Prior to the sale to Immortals, H3CZ was reportedly involved in a separate bid to purchase Infinite, but his bid was rejected. It was then reported that H3CZ would meet with Immortals CEO Ari Segal to discuss the potential of reprising his role as CEO of OpTic, and to take a more hands on approach with the Call of Duty team. The outcome of such a meeting, if it took place, are unknown, but Unikrn believes that H3CZ is fulfilling a similar role to what he held under Infinite’s ownership, able to provide advice and weigh in on matters relating to the team, but unable to make any unilateral decisions. OpTic’s CS:GO team is to be sold off, with coach Ruggah confirming on June 24 that they are searching “for a new home”. The Overwatch League team, Houston Outlaws, will also be sold. The League of Legends team will eventually be rebranded to Immortals, leaving only the Gears of War and Call of Duty team to carry the OpTic brand, which is where H3CZ will presumably have the most involvement. He was in attendance at CWL Anaheim with the CoD team on June 14 – 16, where they finished 3rd after a loss to GenG. The big focus for Call of Duty esports is not this year though, but next, when the first season of the city-based franchise league will begin. Disclaimer: Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez is a minority shareholder in Dexerto Ltd.

  • Immortals confirm OpTic Gaming buyout and reveal plans for the brand – Dexerto

Immortals confirm OpTic Gaming buyout and reveal plans for the brand Immortals Gaming Club have finally confirmed their acquisition of Infinite Esports and Entertainment, the parent company of Texas-Based organization OpTic Gaming, after much speculation. The sale of Infinite Esports was officially confirmed by OpTic Gaming and Immortals on June 12, following earlier reports of the deal on June 7. This acquisition is said to be the largest “change of control” deal in esports history, with Infinite Esports and Entertainment’s assets estimated to be valued at over $100 million. In their press release, IGC listed out their plans for the upcoming year and the future of all of new major esports rosters. This is our legacy, this is our Duty. #Greenwall pic.twitter.com/C67lmAa0L9— OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTicGaming) June 12, 2019 CS:GO It appears as if OpTic’s CS:GO roster will be sold off individually or released following the transaction, as Immortals Gaming Club already have an active CS:GO roster in the fan-favorite Brazilian line-up, MIBR, explaining: “Immortals Gaming Club, which already competes in CS:GO through its MIBR brand, will divest OpTic’s CS:GO team.” League of Legends Immortals has a rich history in North American League of Legends and many suspected that one of the primary reasons for the acquisition of Infinite Esports would be their LCS franchise spot after failing in bidding for their own in late 2017. They announced that OpTic’s current LCS franchise spot will be re-branded to the Immortals, likely ahead of the 2020 LCS spring split, so that the brand “The LCS franchise will continue to operate under the OpTic name until rebranding to Immortals in 2020.” Overwatch As Immortals Gaming Club already have an Overwatch League team, LA Valiant, they will have to follow instructions by Blizzard to ensure that competitive integrity is maintained during the transition period. The Houston Outlaws spot in the Overwatch League will be managed temporarily by IGC as a distinct entity for a period after the transfer before being sold on to a third party, they explained: “On an interim basis, IGC will manage the Overwatch League’s Houston Outlaws franchise as a distinct entity with its own dedicated staff, pending the sale of the franchise to a third party. The Overwatch League will provide oversight and monitor the team operations to ensure competitive integrity during the transition period.” OpTic Gaming are also known for their strong content creation team, which include members such as Hitch and BigTymeR, who recently started their own brand, Old Guard, after the Immortals buyout rumors. It is unclear if they will have any role to play in the new OpTic Gaming or if they will be going their separate ways with their new pursuit. There also appears to be no indication of what the future holds for OpTic Gaming’s Gears of War team, but more details are likely to be released soon regarding the roster’s next move. • Immortals CEO Noah Whinston Admits tK Kenny’s Ability on CoD Has Won Him Over – Dexerto

Immortals CEO Noah Whinston Admits tK Kenny’s Ability on CoD Has Won Him Over Immortals CEO Noah Winston praised KuavoKenny’s impressive play at the Call of Duty World League Championships in a congratulatory Tweet. His comment comes in lieu of Team Kaliber’s performance, where they placed an impressive second behind eventual winners, Evil Geniuses. Team Kaliber worked their way through winner bracket before facing off against EG in the WB final, but were sent to the loser bracket where they dispatched of FaZe Clan to get another shot at EG. Although they were ultimately defeated in the grand final, Team Kaliber’s strength was nothing to sniff at as they put on an epic show for the thousands in attendance and hundreds of thousands watching at home. Although Noah admitted that he’d never watched much Call of Duty, Kenny’s performance in Grand Finals struck a cord with the Immortals’ CEO. https://twitter.com/NWhinston/status/1031276840231432193While the Immortals have yet to pick up a team for Call of Duty, they are no stranger to FPS titles – with a unit for Rainbow 6 Siege and CS:GO, could CoD might be their next team shooter? Kenny’s status as Astro Gaming’s Stage 2 MVP in the CWL also marks a gold star on his resume. Combined with his stellar performance at CoD Champs, Kenny could very well be looking at a slew of offers from multiple teams following TK’s impressive play throughout the WWII season. Kenny has likewise expressed a desire to leave Team Kaliber. Following a vlog uploaded by team leader Justin ‘KOSDFF’ Chandler, and tK’s star player made a slew of statements regarding poor pay, property theft, and an ultimate feeling of disrespect. Now that the CWL has officially wrapped up, tK’s impressive performance this season could mean a serious reorganization for the group ahead of Black Ops 4. Whether or not Kenny remains with the team is yet to be seen, and Noah’s Tweet could have been nothing more than an innocent remark. Only time will tell if both Kenny and the Immortals will see major changes in their competitive futures.

  • iLLeY reveals planned roster with Scump and FormaL that never happened – Dexerto

iLLeY reveals planned roster with Scump and FormaL that never happened Dallas Empire Call of Duty pro Inder ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal has revealed a potential roster that never came to be, featuring former the duo of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper. Scump and FormaL have now reunited under the Chicago Huntsmen banner, but, according to iLLeY, things could have been very different, if plans for a stacked five-man roster had come to fruition. When forming a team, there are numerous factors that must be taken into account, beyond just who wants to play with who, which can make creating the ‘dream’ roster challenging. In the end, a number of incredibly talented teams who pose a serious threat to being the number one squad in the 2020 season came together, but iLLeY has given insight into one potential roster that slipped away. Speaking to his stream viewers on December 10, the young star revealed “there were a lot of possibilities” for various rosters, before divulging one of the most stacked rosters imaginable. “One possibility was me, Dashy, Huke, Scump and FormaL,” iLLeY explains, before discussing some of the reasons it didn’t pan out. The Empire star explains that initially, some of the more experienced pro players were “skeptical” of his ability, because he had never played ‘variant’ before. Read More: Gary Vee teases Call of Duty League TV deal – Prior to joining Empire, as he was younger than 18, iLLeY could only compete in online tournaments, where he dominated the Search & Destroy scene, but making the transition to respawn modes isn’t always a guaranteed success. There have been numerous examples of this transition in recent years though, with players like Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr, Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris and Dashy himself being some of the obvious examples. 🤔 Who was the best @CallofDuty player of 2019? @SimpXO, @aBeZy, @OctaneSam, or @DashySZN? 🏆 Vote for your favorite in the #DexertoAwards — Dexerto (@Dexerto) December 10, 2019 From this possible roster, only iLLeY and Huke remain, now joined by their veteran teammates of Crimsix and Clayster, plus Halo world champion Shotzzy, on Empire. The rosters will get their first chance to flex their muscles and prove who made the best decisions, when they go head-to-head in Minnesota for the opening weekend of the Call of Duty League, starting January 24.

  • iLLeY dropped from OpTic Texas starting lineup once again amid Major 3 roster shuffle – Dexerto

iLLeY dropped from OpTic Texas starting lineup once again amid Major 3 roster shuffle OpTic GamingOpTic Texas looks set to shake things up once again just weeks after Scump’s retirement and Dashy’s shortlived free agency, as AR superstar iLLeY has announced he’s now a restricted free agent. Offseason Rostermania has thrown us a curveball once again. Following on from one of the most chaotic stretches in OpTic history, one that saw the King step down from professional play after failed contract negotiations with Seattle Surge in an attempt to acquire Pred, Huke most recently joined the starting squad. Together alongside Dashy, Shotzzy, and iLLeY, the team finished fourth in its first LAN event at Major 2 just days ago. Despite this performance for just their first proper event as a unit, OpTic appears set to change things around once more ahead of the Major 3 qualifiers. This time, rather than Dashy being temporarily removed from the lineup again, iLLeY is in focus instead. The Canadian AR announced his restricted free agency on February 8, much to the shock of the CoD community. “Restricted F/A, bang my line if you want to win,” he said bluntly, revealing the news before OpTic had a chance to make things official on their own social channels. iLLeY also no longer has any mention of OpTic Gaming or OpTic Texas in his Twitter bio. Currently, it’s unclear who else might step into his shoes and round out the squad moving into the next period of competition. Given most ARs are locked down into long-term contracts at this stage, options are limited if OpTic isn’t looking to buy someone out from an existing agreement. As for where iLLeY will land, that also remains a mystery. While he’s an obvious upgrade for some teams in the lower half of the standings, there’s no telling where he may end up. That is to assume he doesn’t end up right back with OpTic. Earlier this year we saw the Green Wall drop both Dashy and iLLeY before rapidly changing course and bringing them right back in under 24 hours. Perhaps we’re seeing a similar situation now but of course, that’s only speculation. If this truly is the end of iLLeY’s run with OpTic, it’ll mark the end of a 14-month stretch playing in green and black, and a further two-years under Hastr0’s leadership with Dallas Empire prior to the OpTic merger.

  • iLLeY breaks silence with cryptic tweet after OpTic Texas demolished at CDL Major 3 – Dexerto

iLLeY breaks silence with cryptic tweet after OpTic Texas demolished at CDL Major 3 Call of Duty LeagueOpTic Texas Call of Duty League substitute Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal, who was dropped from the starting roster in early February, finally broke his silence online shortly after OpTic suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at their home LAN event, CDL Major 3. OpTic Texas have undergone several roster changes since before the Modern Warfare 2 season started, with both iLLeY and Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell being dropped multiple times. That, coupled with Scump’s retirement, means there’s been a lack of consistency in the Dallas-based team. At Major 3, though, OpTic were expected to come in and do some damage, especially in front of their home crowd and not long after beating Atlanta FaZe in their online qualifier matches. With newly added rookie Dan ‘Ghosty’ Rothe taking iLLeY’s place, OpTic have found another vocal player who can be the in-game leader the team needs, but the jury is still out on whether this was a good move for the team long-term. Obviously, with OpTic being the biggest team in the Call of Duty League, they’re always expected to make deep runs into tournaments, but that got much harder on March 9 when they lost their opening Major 3 match to Boston Breach. Social media blew up, with some fans demanding change and calling for iLLeY to be reinstated. And after almost a month without any tweets, the 2020 world champion broke his silence in the wake of OpTic’s loss. He posted a one-word cryptic tweet that has got the whole community talking: “Yo.” Even Scump commented on the tweet, saying that “Inder’s going crazy,” while former head coach Ray ‘Rambo’ Lussier said it’s “kind of petty.” Once the Major is out of the way, we might yet see iLLeY return to the starting roster or even be bought out by another team looking to turn their season around. For now, though, while the tweet doesn’t say much, some fans think it actually means a lot more.

  • Ignored Modern Warfare LMG dominates Warzone’s long-range TTK – Dexerto

Ignored Modern Warfare LMG dominates Warzone’s long-range TTK ActivisionWarzone guru WhosImmortal has highlighted an extremely underused LMG from Modern Warfare that actually has a solid TTK, and might just be the best long-range gun in the battle royale. With the Season 4 Reloaded update bringing some slight tweaks to Warzone, the meta in the Call of Duty battle royale has shifted ever so slightly. The NZ-41 and MP-40 no longer sit atop the pile in terms of meta choices, instead, they’ve fallen down a few pegs as the KG M40, H4 Blixen, and Armaguerra 43 now occupy the top spots. Though, there are still plenty of under-the-radar guns that can challenge for a spot amongst the top dogs. Modern Warfare M91 LMG is one weapon that falls into that category, as it has a rock bottom pick rate, but is exactly pretty solid when it comes to TTK and dealing damage in-game. Modern Warfare M91 has stellar Warzone TTK Warzone YouTuber WhosImmortal highlighted the Modern Warfare LMG in his August 7 video, noting that it can be built to have one of the best TTKs in the battle royale. “It actually is a powerhouse. It has just under a 850ms TTK at about 60 meters and it doesn’t have any steep damage drop off,” he said. “It is just a continuous slow descent, which is better than most weapons in the game. If you’ve used any of Modern Warfare’s LMGs in the past – and, really, who hasn’t – the setup should be pretty familiar. Monolithic Suppressor is a vital attachment, as are the Tac Laser and VLK 3.0x sight. The M91 Heavy barrel helps buff the control and velocity, while the fifth attachment can be pretty much anything else. Though, the Commando Foregrip is what WhosImmortal goes with. Best M91 LMG loadout for Warzone Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: M91 Heavy – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: VLK 3.0x – As noted, the LMG certainly qualifies as an obscure pick. As per WZRanked stats, it has a 0.07 pick rate currently, which is down there with many shotguns and tactical rifles. It remains to be seen if it’ll vault up the usage charts anytime soon, but it is certainly a weapon to experiment with if you’re looking to shake things up.

  • Ignored “low recoil” SMG is a laser beam in Warzone 2 – Dexerto

Ignored “low recoil” SMG is a laser beam in Warzone 2 ActivisonWarzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has unveiled an underrated “low-recoil” SMG that’s a laser beam at close quarters, making it extremely easy to use. When it comes to meta SMGs in Warzone 2, the Lachmann Sub and the Fennec 45 have stood out as the two strongest options. However, their popularity is causing a lot of the community to overlook other options in the category that have major upsides. One of which is minimal recoil, a strength that Warzone 2 players look for in a weapon as it ensures they hit all of their shots on target. Well, Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal has the perfect SMG for anyone looking for an easy-to-use powerhouse on Al Mazrah. Best MX9 loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Muzzle: XXTEN RR-40 – Laser: VLK LZR 7MW – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Magazine: 32-Round Mag – Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip – While damage output and raw TTK are always important on a weapon, they’re meaningless if you can’t land the majority of your bullets on target. So, sometimes it’s better to opt for an SMG with a “competitive TTK” that has incredibly “low recoil” and luckily, WhosImmortal has provided exactly that with a meta MX9 loadout. Labeling the weapon as the “easiest SMG to use”, it’s an ideal pick for players who struggle to control kickback on Al Mazrah. This gun is a laser beam at close quarters with the build above equipped, making it a consistent powerhouse in every single match. Topic starts at 4:18 Not only that, according to WZRanked, the MX9 is severely underrated with a 1% pick rate compared to the Fennec’s 7.3%. So, if you’re looking for a powerful SMG that’s going under the radar, consider checking out the MX9, it may be the spark you need to secure a streak of victories.

  • If You Aren’t Sad About OpTic CoD Potentially Splitting Up, Then Just Watch This – Dexerto

If You Aren’t Sad About OpTic CoD Potentially Splitting Up, Then Just Watch This Since coming together in 2015, OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty roster has established itself to be the greatest in the history of the esport. Often referred to as a dynasty, the quartet of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Mathew ‘FormaL’ Piper, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow have won numerous championships across the Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare titles, including the coveted CWL Championship in 2017. Unfortunately, the current CWL season for CoD: WWII has not been so kind to OpTic as it has been mired with underachievement and internal struggles when held up to the team’s lofty standards. Their recent top-16 finish at CWL Seattle, which is their worst placement since the roster was formed, has led to massive rumors that roster changes are coming before the May 7th roster lock. There is heavy talk around the community that at least one and potentially all four members of the team are set to leave, which would result in the most publicized roster change(s) in CoD RosterMania history. With OpTic having, by far, the biggest fan-base in CoD esports, such a change would also send a shockwave that would likely inspire heavy reactions and feedback. Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow is one of the players that has been heavily linked to be leaving OpTic A video has been posted on the YouTube channel ‘Semtexable’ that pays tribute to the OpTic CoD dynasty in anticipation of the roster’s breakup. The video, which starts off with OpTic losing to Luminosity in the CWL Seattle Loser’s Bracket, also includes some of the best moments the roster has experienced, including scenes from their run to their first ever CWL Championship in 2017. If anyone is not yet saddened by the prospect of the team potentially splitting up, they most likely will after watching this tribute.

  • Iconic Warzone ‘super jump’ bug returns as players fly across Caldera – Dexerto

Iconic Warzone ‘super jump’ bug returns as players fly across Caldera ActivisionWarzone’s classic super jump bug is back and this time players get to soar the skies of Caldera, but no one can figure out exactly how to do it. Warzone has many different tactics that can be used to make a player’s movement better. There’s slide canceling, the stim super slide, and more that can be mastered. However, one mechanic that has yet to be conquered is the super jump. This originally appeared on Verdansk and allowed players to become freaks of nature by jumping extremely long distances. The community deemed this a bug since no one could figure out a way to replicate it 100% of the time, and since the move to the Pacific, people thought it was in the past. Warzone players find super jump glitch on Pacific In a Reddit clip, posted by ‘Javicapra8,’ the player shows off the classic super jump glitch from Verdansk, but this time on Caldera. When they dropped-in, they landed on top of a building and saw an enemy close to them. The player went to mantle the railing when they were suddenly vaulted high in the sky. Instead of just a simple jump, the player got an inhuman leap that took them well over 20 feet and allowed them to melee an opponent to death. The community was shocked to see this return in Caldera as there haven’t been known reports of it. One person said “WTF… Lmao,” while another didn’t even know this existed, “I didn’t understand what happened.” There is no way to perfectly explain how this occurs, but multiple players have reported this only occurs after they mantle an object. If this becomes a key movement aspect like the stim slide, then we will make sure to update you on a proper method to do so.

  • Iconic Rust map is already in Modern Warfare 2 – but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Iconic Rust map is already in Modern Warfare 2 – but there’s a catch ActivisionIconic multiplayer map Rust is alive and well in Modern Warfare 2, but players hoping to drop in there for a match might be disappointed. Modern Warfare 2 arrives with 16 multiplayer maps at launch, taking players to a variety of locations as they compete in the shooter’s many modes. These are all brand-new maps made specifically for the MW2 2022, but many fans are hoping to see some classics make a comeback as well. We already know that some familiar maps will arrive in Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, but as it turns out, one of the series’ most iconic multiplayer arenas is already in the game. However, it isn’t playable as a standalone map. Well-known CoD streamer ModernWarzone shared a clip on Twitter revealing that Rust is actually part of the Taraq Ground War map. The B objective is located next to a large metal structure that is identical to the 2009 map of the same name. It even comes complete with the ladder to reach the notorious camping spot at the top, as well as the long metal ramp. The leaker also pointed out that Taraq is one of the maps set in the Al Mazrah region, which will also be the setting of Warzone 2 at launch. This means that Rust is likely to be a POI, or at least part of a POI on the next battle royale map as well. Rust became an instant favorite when the original Modern Warfare 2 was released in 2009, serving as one of the more frantic smaller maps in that game’s multiplayer mode, as well as the backdrop for the dramatic conclusion of the single-player campaign. It remains to be seen if this means that Rust will make its way into the 6v6 playlists as a standalone map in the future. Classic CoD arenas are set to come in Season 1 and beyond, and there’s no doubt that Rust would be a popular choice. In the meantime, you’ll have to head into Ground War to get a sense of what Rust looks like in 2022.

  • Iconic MW2 weapon is “OP” one-shot beast in Warzone Season 4 and it’s not the KAR98K – Dexerto

Iconic MW2 weapon is “OP” one-shot beast in Warzone Season 4 and it’s not the KAR98K Activision BlizzardThere is an unusual weapon from Modern Warfare 2 that is proving to be pretty “broken” and “overpowered” in Warzone right now, and it’s going under the radar. When it comes to getting ahead in Warzone, you don’t just have to use guns. Melee weapons like the Kalli Sticks, Riot Shield, and Tonfu have proven to be even more powerful than their bullet-firing counterparts at times. They aren’t the only other options, though. There is also stuff like the Crossbow. The Modern Warfare 2 weapon was deemed to be totally “unusable” at the start of the Modern Warfare 3 cycle, but a secret buff in the Season 4 update has turned it into a “broken” and “overpowered” option on smaller maps. Well, that’s according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal anyway, as he highlighted the MW2 weapon in his June 4 video. “This thing is currently ridiculous because, for whatever reason, it is currently a one-shot guaranteed kill regardless of where you hit on the body if you put on the explosive ammo for it basically,” the YouTuber said. “This thing has no business being this consistent.” As noted, it’s the Blastcap 20’ Bolts that do all the heavy lifting on this build. The explosive tip bolts are on a timer once they land on an enemy, however, it is pretty quick and “tough to fight against”. Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Laser: Kimura RYL33 Laser – Optic: KR Minitac-40 Riser – Bolts: Blastcap 20’ Bolts – Wire: 28-strand cable – WhosImmortal did note, though, that the Crossbow is one of those higher skill gap weapons because if you miss, you’re probably going to be somewhat of a sitting duck for enemies. It has a slow reload time and you can only pack in one bolt at a time. Sure, you may benefit from limited engagements on the bigger maps, but the Crossbow is also going to shine playing on Rebirth Island and smaller maps because you’ll get those close-range engagements that you’ll rarely miss from.

  • Iconic MW2 AR is one of Warzone’s best guns after Season 5 buff – Dexerto

Iconic MW2 AR is one of Warzone’s best guns after Season 5 buff Treyarch/ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s most popular assault rifles is proving to be one of Warzone’s best guns in Season 5, but some players might be sleeping on it. When the Season 5 update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone hit, it followed the Season 4 Reloaded patch in making some big changes to the battle royale’s meta. The game’s two dominant SMGs, the Superi 46 and FJX Horus, were taken down a few notches, while a number of Modern Warfare 2 guns were shown some love. The VEL 46 has been the biggest beneficiary of that, as the SMG has risen up to be a viable meta option. However, it isn’t alone on that front. The M4, which received significant buffs to its minimum damage, near-mid damage range, and maximum damage range. The assault rifle has always been a fan-favorite in Warzone, but it’s back to being a rather competitive option in Season 5. “I was surprised to see the M4 this much of a buff,” Warzone expert WhosImmortal said in his July 27 video, noting that the MW2 gun has been bumped up into his top tier of guns. “It’s still an MW2 gun so it’s probably hindered from being ‘absolute meta’ because of how they feel with their visual recoil, shake, and attachment selection. But, as far as it goes, it is able to compete with the 545, STB, and these other really solid MW2 rifles where a lot of them have found themselves in top tier because of certain buffs over time and the M4 finally gets its turn there too.” Timestamp of 3:27 The WZRanked stats have also started to reflect the buff too, with the M4 now sitting as the 15th most popular gun in Warzone and the second-highest MW2 gun. That puts it as the sixth most popular assault rifle, just behind the likes of the STG44, MTZ-556, and BAl-27. So, give it a go. It’s more than a nostalgia hit.

  • Iconic CoD Zombies voice actor Tom Kane suffers career-threatening stroke – Dexerto

Iconic CoD Zombies voice actor Tom Kane suffers career-threatening stroke Activision/Tom KaneThe family of voiceover artist Tom Kane, who played Takeo in the Call of Duty Zombies maps, announced that the actor suffered from a stroke a couple months back and that, while he is slowly but surely recovering, he may no longer be able to perform. Kane’s daughter Sam took to the actor’s Facebook page on December 30, 2020, to offer an explanation as to why he’s been inactive on the social media platform over the past couple months and the news isn’t good, to say the least. According to her, Kane suffered a stroke two months ago and has been attempting to recover ever since. The stroke left him with “right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain”. This has caused him to be unable to properly communicate, although he remains “competent and very much himself”. Unfortunately, according to Sam, his neurologist has informed the family that, while a strong and healthy recovery is totally possible, he may never be able to voice act again. Of course, this is just a current prognosis, and his daughter says that they have found him excellent speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Kane is an extremely prominent voice actor. He’s probably most known for his role as Takeo in the CoD Zombies series, voicing both versions of the character since his debut in 2008’s World at War. Hi everyone! This is Tom’s daughter, Sam. Our family wanted to share why my dad has been MIA. About two months ago he… Posted by Tom Kane on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 While Takeo may be his most recognizable role, he’s also known for his work in the Star Wars franchise, playing Yoda, General Yularen, and the Narrator in The Clone Wars series, as well as other properties. His distinct voice can even be heard as the Walt Disney World Monorail safety announcer in Florida. Currently, Kane is recovering and has shown progress, apparently already making improvements to his speech, according to his daughter. Unfortunately, no other details have been released by his family at this point.

  • Iconic Call of Duty Raid map spotted in Black Ops Cold War files – Dexerto

Iconic Call of Duty Raid map spotted in Black Ops Cold War files ActivisionEight years after its introduction in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 2’s Raid could finally be returning in a mainline entry as files for the iconic map have been uncovered in Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch’s fan-favorite Black Ops 2 released in 2012. Since then, we’ve seen eight new titles come and go. In that gap, Raid has only made one other appearance in a global title, that title being Call of Duty Mobile. While other maps have been rereleased countless times, including seven remakes of Nuketown alone, Raid has been left in the past. However, that’s about to change according to the latest leaks. After an extended period in the shadows, Raid could finally be thrown back into the spotlight soon. Dataminers have uncovered a line of code relating to the map in Black Ops Cold War, suggesting that we’ll see it return in Season 1. LEAK: The iconic Raid map from BO2 may be returning in #BlackOpsColdWar Season 1! Dataminers found “”s1_mp_raid_tu_cairo”” in the game’s files 👀 (via @BlackOpsLeaks) pic.twitter.com/tkiDNyR26U — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) December 2, 2020 As a huge influx of Season 1 content slipped through the cracks on December 1, one key line stood out from the pack. ‘S1_map_raid_tu_cairo’ was plucked directly from the latest version of Black Ops Cold War. Obviously, this doesn’t outright confirm Raid is a guarantee for the next Season. This is the first official reference to the map in quite some time, though, so it’s safe to assume Treyarch has been working to bring it back to life. The original map quickly became a favorite for its unique design. There were distinct sections that paved the way for vast combat opportunities. Both close-range and long-range loadouts could feel right at home on Raid. On one side you had a wide-open area with a high ground advantage for one team next to a On the other, you had a circular area perfect for flanking opportunities. Meanwhile, in the middle lane, you’d often catch snipers peeking across from either side in a near-symmetrical layout. One of the more interesting tidbits from this datamine is the final word. Cairo is the capital of Egypt. The original version of Raid was set in Los Angeles. So when we see this new version, it could have a fresh coat of paint to fit the locale. It was an extremely popular competitive map throughout the year of its initial release. Given it worked quite well with essentially all objective-based game modes. From Hardpoint to Search and Destroy, Raid was often a favored pick. Season One of Black Ops Cold War kicks off on December 10. There’s no confirmation we’ll see Raid in-game from this point on, so do take this leak with a grain of salt until then.

  • Iconic Call of Duty map returns to Modern Warfare but with a catch – Dexerto

Iconic Call of Duty map returns to Modern Warfare but with a catch Season 1 in Modern Warfare has injected some nostalgia back into the Call of Duty franchise, but there is another classic map embedded somewhere where you’d least expect it. Crash, Vacant, and Shipment made their highly anticipated return as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s first season in multiplayer. After receiving a fresh lick of paint, each map has received it’s own unique revamp — giving the timeless classics a much-needed spruce up. However, while Infinity Ward’s efforts have gone down a treat with their faithful community, some fans have been calling for more old-school maps to join the extensive map pool. There are a plethora of maps to choose from on Infinity Ward’s side of the fence. From the likes of Crossfire, Strike, and Showdown to the likes of Highrise, Terminal, and Arkaden from the newer generations, fans of the Modern Warfare series are spoilt for choice. Given that both Invasion and Scrapyard have already made an appearance in Modern Warfare – with the former being part of a Spec Ops mission – it was only a matter of time before another map was spotted by an eagle-eyed fan. One Reddit user discovered ‘Grandma’s House’ (a term coined by the community) from Overgrown during a Spec Ops mission — the classic fan-favorite map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. While this isn’t the full map by any stretch, it appears to be an identical replica of the house — almost as if it was plucked straight out of the sniper’s paradise. Since the textures for maps such as Invasion, Scrapyard, and Overgrown are evidently rooted in Modern Warfare, perhaps this is a hint towards a future addition as part of Modern Warfare’s seasonal content rollouts. When you consider the classic maps which have already made it into multiplayer the map pool, it may be that Infinity Ward are utilizing pre-existing textures from the Modern Warfare: Remastered group. This would make sense, since it would ensure that the developers don’t have to completely overhaul old textures. So, could we be seeing Overgrown as part of Season 2’s DLC? It remains to be seen.

  • Iconic Barret 50 cal sniper rifle leaked in Black Ops Cold War – Dexerto

Iconic Barret 50 cal sniper rifle leaked in Black Ops Cold War ActivisionAfter the Black Ops Cold War Beta was available on PC, data-miners and hackers scoured through the game’s code to find hidden features, and some of them have seemingly stumbled upon a usable/playable version of a classic Call of Duty sniper rifle – the Barret .50 cal. [jwplayer ulMZS35X] Unfortunately, with a little bit less than 24 hours to go, the Black Ops Cold War Beta is almost over. While most people spent the weekend knee-deep in the game’s base weapons, maps, modes, etc., many PC data-miners were enjoying everything the pre-release version had to offer that was hidden in the game’s coding. Throughout the weekend, many players were leaking parts of the game’s code that referred to a number of unreleased features. While most of them were obviously left-over assets from Black Ops 4 or, at the very least, unsubstantiated pieces of data, there seems to be a classic sniper coming to the game. The Barrett 50 Cal looks to be coming to #BlackOpsColdWar along with the Bowie Knife. — ModernWarzone (@ModernWarzone) October 19, 2020 A Black Ops Cold War Beta mod video from YouTuber Andrew2007 seems to show the Barrett .50 cal, a fan-favorite sniper rifle from several previous Call of Duty title, as a part of the game, although it appears that the gun is named ‘Barret M82’ for BOCW. As can be seen in the video below, the weapon isn’t done, as there are no firing and reloading sound associated with the weapon. There isn’t even a scope texture, with a white square taking its place. This makes sense, as unreleased weapons generally don’t have all the assets associated with them attached until much closer to release. For those confused as to why the rifle is firing at such a high rate, this is due to the mods that the user installed for the game. The actual Barret will certainly not function that way if and when it gets fully released. Speaking of which, it’s also entirely possible that the video is fake and that the YouTuber simply modded the weapon into the game. Still, it looks pretty convincing, and given the fact that other prominent leak pages like leaker ModerWarzone have corroborated, its existence seems more likely than not. The inclusion of the Barrett 50 cal is certainly a welcome one. The gun was featured in CoD 4: Modern Warfare, MW2, MW3, and even Black Ops 2’s story campaign. A variant of it was also featured in Modern Warfare (2019) but it was titled the Rytec AMR and featured some differences from the original. What’s most likely to happen with this gun, judging from the fact that it wasn’t even included in the beta or alpha, is that it’s being saved for the post-launch content that Activision and Treyarch are planning on releasing. Either way, it won’t be long until we find out since Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13, 2020.

  • Iconic AR is finally Warzone’s best after “double buff” – Dexerto

Iconic AR is finally Warzone’s best after “double buff” ActivisionOne of Warzone’s most iconic assault rifles is now the “best” choice in the battle royale after it got a “double buff” in the October 23 update. While Modern Warfare 3 is on the horizon and will start running with the CoD baton before long, both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone have received some crucial updates. On the battle royale front, the Warzone devs have continued to tweak weapons in order to better balance the meta. The start of Season 6 saw some sweeping changes on that front and it’s only continued with updates throughout the season. The most recent update came on October 23, with the powerful Lockwood 300 shotgun, TR-76 Geist, and Kastov 762 being nerfed. Those changes have opened a door for others to step up and take their place in the meta, and one AR is now the “best” choice around. Best M4 loadout for Warzone Season 6 after buff That AR, you ask? Well, it’s the M4. Warzone guru Metaphor highlighted it in his October 24 video, stating with its recent buff and other ARs being nerfed around, the CoD fan-favorite has gotten a “double buff” in a way. “This gun is finally the best AR in the game, in my honest opinion,” Metaphor said. “This is a double buff for the M4, not only did the M4 get buffed but other guns got nerfed, specifically the guns at the very top and that ends up just pushing it to the very top.” The build for the AR is quite similar to other meta options too. The likes of the Hightower 20’ Barrel, Aim OP-V4 sight, and FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel all being used. Muzzle: Cronen OP44 – Barrel: Hightower 20’ barrel – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – Magazine: 45 Round mag – On top of that, the YouTuber also noted that the M4 is a particularly good choice for mouse and keyboard users too because of its damage profiles and recoil. If you’re not sold on that, however, you can always use the ISO Hemlock, which JGOD has highlighted as a “frontrunner” for the new meta.

  • IceManIsaac’s “max speed” Warzone MP5 loadout is the ultimate rushing weapon – Dexerto

IceManIsaac’s “max speed” Warzone MP5 loadout is the ultimate rushing weapon Activision / IceManIsaacVanguard weapons have been dominating Warzone since its integration, but IceManIsaac’s Cold War MP5 loadout is perfect for anyone looking to inject a bit of speed into their matches. Ever since the launch of Caldera, Vanguard weapons have dominated the Warzone matches. The STG44 remains one of the top Assault Rifles, while the MP40 and Bren have taken over the SMG and LMG classes respectively. The WWII guns are extremely effective in the game right now, but the older equipment can feel sluggish compared to some of the more modern weapons found in Warzone. If you’re a player who likes to zip across the map and take the fight to opponents, then Warzone expert IceManIsaac has a “max speed” MP5 loadout that is perfect for you. IceManIsaac’s “max speed” Mp5 Warzone loadout Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – Grip: Bruiser Grip – Stock: Raider Stock – Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd Drum – This setup is all about maximizing your movement speed, letting you quickly close the gap between yourself and enemy players. Since your foes will most likely be using more cumbersome Vanguard weapons, this could be just the thing to give you the upper hand. Isaac started his loadout off with the Agency Suppressor, which offers some much-needed recoil control while also hiding the MP5’s muzzle flash. Not only does this mean the Cold War SMG becomes a total laser, but it also adds a degree of stealth to loadout. The key to this setup, however, lies in the combination of the Tiger Team Spotlight, Raider Stock, and Bruiser Grip. All of these offer huge boosts to both mobility and ADS speed, letting you dart around Caldera picking off enemies before they know what hit them. Finally, Isaac went for the STANAG 50 Rnd Drum, to make sure the gun has some extra shots in the tank for those especially frantic gunfights. In his video, IceManIsaac describes this Cold War MP5 build as a throwback to his “favorite meta in Warzone history,” and claims that it still “slaps” in Season 2 on Caldera. “It’s so nice because I feel really slow and sluggish using Vanguard guns,” said Isaac. “With the MP5, I’m zooming across the map and absolutely melting.” Since Vanguard is the most recent Call of Duty to release, it’s likely that we’ll see the likes of the Welgun or the Automaton continue to dominate the meta for the time being. However, this MP5 loadout is perfect for anyone looking to try a slightly different playstyle in Warzone Season 2. So, the next time you drop into a battle royale or Rebirth Island match, be sure to give this setup a try.

  • IceManIsaac’s C58 Warzone loadout is perfect weapon to rule over Caldera – Dexerto

IceManIsaac’s C58 Warzone loadout is perfect weapon to rule over Caldera Activision / IceManIsaacWarzone streamer and content creator IceManIsaac has shared his go-to C58 loadout as we head towards Caldera’s second season, and it’s perfect to dominate enemies with the Black Ops Cold War assault rifle. The revolutionary way in which the weapons and equipment of different Call of Duty title has been conflated in Warzone means players have more choice than ever when it comes to weapons. We’ve seen the newly integrated Vanguard weapons force their way into the meta, but a number of Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War guns are experiencing renaissances as well. One of those is the C58, the assault rifle that dropped with BOCW’s fifth season. Now, IceManIsaac has shared his go-to loadout ahead of Warzone Pacific Season 2. While not the dominant weapon in Warzone – that title firmly belongs to the MP40 at the moment – Isaac pointed out that it currently sits as one of the highest K/D weapons in Warzone, and is rising in popularity fast. In short, it could be the next meta weapon and getting ahead of the curve now will definitely benefit you in-game. The NRG content creator’s full C58 loadout is detailed below. IceManIsaac’s C58 Loadout for Warzone Pacific Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 18.5″ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Magazine: STANAG 55 Rnd – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – There’s a nice mix of discretion, power and handling with Isaac’s build. The Agency Suppressor is a must-have on any BOCW weapon, while the Field Agent Grip goes some way to increase its versatility and make it viable where slower ARs would fail. The STANAG 55 Rnd Mag ensures you’ll have enough shots to take down multiple enemies at once, while the 18.5″ Task Force damage straight-up increases the C58’s lethality. It’s an incredibly strong loadout and is perfectly suited to medium-range engagements. Players with competent recoil control will also find uses for it at long ranges, but you’ll probably need to take a SMG as your secondary for those close-combat engagements.

  • IceManIsaac unveils ZRG Warzone loadout as good as meta Kar98k – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils ZRG Warzone loadout as good as meta Kar98k ActivisionWarzone YouTuber and content creator IceManIsaac has unveiled a ZRG 20mm sniper loadout to take over the meta following Season 3’s major nerfs to snipers such as the Swiss K31 and Kar98k. After protracted player complaints regarding the strength of sniper rifles in Warzone, Season 3 of the Vanguard cycle finally brought major nerfs to the category as a whole. Some weapons – like the Modern Warfare HDR and AX-50 – evaded the nerf, but the sniper category is now considerably weaker than it was prior to April 27. As a result, players have been searching for the best new long-range weapon to tear through enemy armor and eliminate them from afar. According to YouTuber IceManIsaac, the ZRG 20mm is the perfect candidate. IceManIsaac’s Season 3 ZRG 20mm Warzone loadout Because of its cumbersome handling and slow ADS, the ZRG was never likely to topple the Kar98k or Swiss K31. After their strength has been decimated though, Isaac outlined in an April 29 video how to build the ZRG to dominate in Caldera. Explaining that he received a tip from a commenter, Isaac said: “Swap out the wrapped suppressor for the Sound Moderator, and the 5 Round Mag for the Serpent Wrap.” Doing so takes the ADS speed of the ZRG down from 511ms to 421ms and barely costs players in terms of bullet velocity. As such, Isaac’s build is slightly different from what you’d expect: Muzzle: Sound Moderator – Barrel: 43.9″ Combat Recon – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight – Optic: Royal & Kross 6x – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – He finished: “I know it’s a giant anti-tank rifle that looks super clumsy, but the ZRG is meta. It’s snappy and you’re going to beam kids across the map.” Naturally, you’ll need a close-range AR or SMG to complement your ZRG build. With that sorted, though, there’ll be nothing better to get you wins in Season 3.

  • IceManIsaac unveils “no-recoil” Bren Warzone loadout to dominate Caldera – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils “no-recoil” Bren Warzone loadout to dominate Caldera Activision / IceManIsaacWarzone YouTuber and content creator IceManIsaac has unveiled his “no-recoil” Bren loadout to dominate Caldera in Season One, claiming it’s now the best gun in the battle royale. Warzone fans have more options than ever following the integration of Call of Duty: Vanguard, and the Bren is one of the weapons that has risen the fastest. It currently sits fifth on the list of the game’s most popular weapons but is rising quickly, knocking Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard weapons out of its way. One of the game’s more prominent content creators to swear by the Bren is IceManIsaac, a competitive player with nearly 500k subscribers on YouTube. A December 24 video saw the YouTube star outline his favored Bren loadout for Season One, minimizing its recoil and maximizing its damage. IceManIsaac “no-recoil” Bren loadout for Warzone Pacific Season One Describing it as the “new meta AR you should be using in Warzone”, Isaac’s chosen loadout reduces the gun’s already modest recoil, as well as ensuring it’ll out-gun nearly any other weapon at medium ranges. Whilst technically a light machine gun (LMG), Isaac’s attachments make the Bren a de facto AR, meaning it might be slightly less suitable for those longer ranges. Also, despite numerous handling improvements, any LMG should be used with caution if you like running and gunning. The full loadout is detailed below: Muzzle: Mercury Silencer – Barrel: Queen’s 705mm Royal – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Queen’s Model 11 BH – Perk: Tight Grip – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 40 Round Mags – Ammunition: Lengthened – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Realistically, fans can swap out Isaac’s SVT-40 optics depending on their personal preference. The rest, though, seems fine-tuned to create carnage and problems for all your Warzone opponents. With the Bren quickly becoming a fan-favorite, there’s every chance Raven will nerf it in the coming weeks. For now, though, this loadout makes it an undeniable behemoth.

  • IceManIsaac unveils new Warzone “zero recoil” BAR loadout better than Automaton – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils new Warzone “zero recoil” BAR loadout better than Automaton Activision / IceManIsaacWarzone Pacific Season 2 has flipped the meta on its head and pro IceManIsaac has revealed a new BAR loadout that has gone under the radar, but is actually better than the Automaton. When Season 2 released on Valentine’s Day, it nerfed the likes of the MP-40 and Bren, which had dominated the meta. While the original changes weren’t enough to the Bren and a stealth buff made it better, the LMG has since been weakened into the void. This has left room for the likes of the Automaton and Cooper Carbine to come back into the meta. However, IceManIsaac has his eyes set on an underrated Vanguard assault rifle. IceManIsaac shows off “no recoil” BAR loadout If you’re just looking for Isaac’s setup we have posted the list of his attachment’s down below. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: CGC 30” XL – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Chariot WR – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 30 Round Mag – Ammo Type: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Perk: Hardscope – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – In this loadout, he utilizes the Recoil Booster, M1941 Hand Stop, and Hardscope as explained in his YouTube video, making this gun a “no recoil, melting” BAR. From his gameplay you can see exactly what Isaac is talking about with this build having no recoil. Even though the weapon has extreme kick to it, his aim still comes back to the center of the screen before firing the next bullet, thus creating no recoil. When comparing to the Automaton, the Warzone star believes that this outclasses the gun in range and damage. Right now the BAR sits fifth out of nine Vanguard ARs in pick rate. However, Isaac believes that other players will start to catch on quickly and start to abuse this loadout in upcoming tournaments.

  • IceManIsaac unveils “laser” UGM-8 Warzone loadout that dominates in Season 4 – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils “laser” UGM-8 Warzone loadout that dominates in Season 4 ActivisionWarzone expert IceManIsaac has shared his “no recoil” UGM-8 loadout for Season 4, claiming that the new LMG is so powerful it’s “going to be a problem” in Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep. The long-awaited Season 4 of Warzone dropped on June 22, bringing a host of changes to the Call of Duty battle royale. Among the more typical weapon adjustments and bug fixes, Fortune’s Keep came as the game’s new Resurgence environment, a small map in the vein of Rebirth Island designed to bring yet more close-range chaos to Warzone. On the weapons front, the UGM-8 and Marco 5 dropped as new additions; the former a hefty LMG and the latter a mobile SMG. Now, according to Warzone expert IceManIsaac, the UGM-8 could be the dominant gun going forwards. IceManIsaac’s Warzone Season 4 “no recoil” UGM-8 loadout In his June 25 YouTube video, Isaac outlined his ten go-to loadouts for Season 4, claiming that data analysis has created a number of perfect classes. The first is a “no-recoil” UGM-8 loadout, making the Vanguard LMG into a stable turret. In fact, Isaac claimed it’s so strong that it’s “going to be a problem” in Season 4, and could come to dominate the season in a way we’ve seen weapons like the Grau and Bruen do in past eras. As you’d expect, the UGM-8 loadout thrives at longer ranges and being in a well-established position. Running and gunning, as is the case with all LMGs, is not advised. The full loadout is detailed below: Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Bernard XL214 736mm – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Mercier WT Ancre – Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled – Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 125 Round – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk: Tight Grip – Perk 2: On-Hand – Because of its specialty being longer ranges, players will need to equip an SMG secondary to ensure they’re covered for gunfights at shorter ranges. For that, there’s no better option than the powerful Marco 5, which also dropped with Season 4. Whether Raven has nerfs lined up is another matter but, for now, drop in and dominate with the best Season 4 has to offer.

  • IceManIsaac unveils “insane” Warzone STG44 loadout to dominate Season 3 after buff – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils “insane” Warzone STG44 loadout to dominate Season 3 after buff ActivisionWarzone YouTuber IceManIsaac has unveiled his STG44 loadout for Season 3, claiming that buffs and nerfs to other weapons have made the Vanguard assault rifle the strongest gun in the game. Warzone’s Season 3 update dropped back on April 27, bringing with it the typical meta shake-up. As a class, sniper rifles received the heaviest nerf while a number of assault rifles also saw their viability targeted. However, since that update, Raven have made yet more changes to the weapon pool in a May 4 update. Among other weapons, the update significantly nerfed the Cold War AK-47, a mid-range AR that had proven very popular in both Season 2 and 3. The STG44, on the other hand, was buffed. In a May 6 YouTube video, trusty content creator IceManIsaac unveiled his STG44 loadout to take advantage of the weapon changes, even describing the classic weapon as the best in Warzone. “If you weren’t tracking,” he explained, “there was the Season 3 update a week ago but then they just dropped another patch and it changed up the assault rifle meta considerably. Most notably, they nerfed the Cold War AK-47 and they buffed a lot of others.” As a result, there is no longer an AR as strong as the STG44 when it comes to shredding opponents at medium to longer ranges. While its kick still leaves a bit to be desired, its damage and range are exemplary. IceManIsaac’s STG44 Warzone Loadout for Season 3 The full recommended loadout is detailed below: Muzzle: Mercury Silencer – Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: VDD 27 Precision – Perk: Sleight of Hand – Perk 2: Fully Loaded – Rear Grip: Polymer Grip – Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum – Ammunition: Lengthened – Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop – With its damage and range augmented, players will just have to invest some time into learning the weapon’s recoil pattern. Once that’s mastered, there are very few weapons that can realistically compete with the STG44 in its current state, and Warzone’s current meta.

  • IceManIsaac unveils “fastest killing” weapon in Warzone Season 3 & it’s not a meta SMG – Dexerto

IceManIsaac unveils “fastest killing” weapon in Warzone Season 3 & it’s not a meta SMG ActivisionWarzone content creator and YouTuber IceManIsaac has unveiled Season 3’s “fastest killing” weapon, outlining how to build your loadout to ensure you dominate the competition in Caldera and Rebirth Island. Despite the incredible number of weapons on offer in Warzone Pacific, shotguns have been pushed to the periphery for most of the battle royale’s history. Their close-range limitations mean that, in general, players are much more likely to arm themselves with a SMG. However, according to IceManIsaac, the Modern Warfare JAK-12 shotgun is one of the BR’s very best weapons in Season 3. As a shotgun, it is naturally limited in terms of range and handling but, when it comes to straight TTK and suppressive capabilities, there are no comparable weapons. IceManIsaac “fastest killing” JAK-12 loadout for Warzone Season 3 Outlining the weapon’s strengths in a May 13 YouTube video, Isaac explained that its high fire-rate for a semi-auto shotgun means you can get up close and spam shots. While its range leaves a lot to be desired, it is the perfect weapon to pull out for clearing houses and other tight environments. “In terms of time-to-kill, it beats or matches the Owen Gun within 10 meters,” he said. “Let’s be honest, most of our gunfights are either all the way out in the open, or they’re close quarters you’re clearing out buildings. And this JAK-12 has gotten me out of so many scenarios.” The full class is detailed below: Muzzle: FORGE TAC Marauder – Barrel: ZLR J-3600 Torrent – Laser: 5mw Laser – Magazine: 20 Round Drum Mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – In spite of the JAK-12’s insane close-quarters damage, players will definitely need a solid and trusty assault rifle to complement the Modern Warfare shotgun. For this role, there’s currently no better weapon than the Vanguard STG-44. As long as players swap between the two weapons sensibly, Season 3 wins will be easier than ever to come by.

  • IceManIsaac slams Warzone’s ‘unbalanced’ gameplay worsened by lopsided TTK – Dexerto

IceManIsaac slams Warzone’s ‘unbalanced’ gameplay worsened by lopsided TTK ActivisionWarzone streamer IceManIsaac outlined some major issues with the battle royale’s gameplay, which is highlighted by an unfair time to kill (TTK) system. Time to kill has always been a huge talking point in Warzone. This statistic alone usually determines if a weapon becomes meta or not. In Warzone, most weapons have a substantially low TTK, which is different compared to other BRs like Apex Legends and Fortnite. Even though the devs have revealed a plan to make guns take longer to kill, some people feel that isn’t enough and it’s ruining the game. Warzone pro IceManIsaac highlights TTK issues Warzone. The fastest TTK of every BR and: – The worst audio – The least recoil – Stun/flash/gas – Insane lethals – Combat scout – Incendiary rounds – SBMM cranked – No competitiveThese don’t mix. Raise the TTK. It’s so easy to kill in this game 😴 — Isaac (@IceManIsaac) January 29, 2022 In a Tweet, the streamer brought up how Warzone has the quickest TTK of any BR and even claimed: “It’s so easy to kill.” He thinks it’s simple because, on top of the high DPS, there are stuns, perks, grenades, fire rounds, and basically no recoil in the game. Isaac believes that all of these elements contribute to making the game boring and frenetic. While some think removing these or raising the TTK would make the game less enjoyable and harder, Isaac doesn’t think that’s the case. He said changing these would make “it more rewarding, forgiving, and fair.” The current plan Raven has to lower damage in Warzone is to make the ADS speed longer on every weapon. Players have been very outspoken about this plan and are vehement about the devs making different changes. Many commented that Iron Trails was overall a balanced experience and that it only needed a few tweaks to make it as close to perfect as possible. This mode had increased TTKs due to players having more health and was positively received by players. The community felt that Iron Trials was the closest thing they had to a balanced game and would love to see the majority of those aspects become staple elements of Warzone.

  • IceManIsaac reveals underused Warzone perk that’s perfect for good players – Dexerto

IceManIsaac reveals underused Warzone perk that’s perfect for good players ActivisionWarzone content creator IceManIsaac has outlined exactly why the Tempered perk is being used in so many tournaments, explaining that it allows you to be “more aggressive” in your gameplay. Call of Duty’s renowned Perks system is again present in Warzone Pacific, meaning players have options in their classes of where and how they want to augment their gameplay. Recent buffs to the Restock perk have seen plenty use it to spam projectiles but, as has become typical, most players are set on their chosen perks with Ghost, Overkill, Double Time, and Amped among the most popular. According to content creator and YouTuber IceManIsaac, though, there is a new contender for the title of Warzone’s best perk, and it has become incredibly common in pro tournaments and high level competition. In his April 21 video, Isaac outlined exactly why so many high level players are now using the Tempered perk, which means players’ armor is completely refilled by two plates instead of the typical three. In short, it gives players 75 extra health per armor plate and makes healing much faster. It’s for these reasons that Isaac believes its so common in competitive environments. “Don’t think about Tempered in a sense of plate economy,” he said. “Yes, a single plate with Tempered gives you 75 health… that’s a secondary benefit. What the real benefit of Tempered is; it allows you to re-challenge your opponents more aggressively and catch them off guard. You’ll have more health sooner than they think. The value in this… is talking about the last chance re-challenge.” When opponents push players to finish them off, they will be caught off guard by how fast they have regained health. However, it can also be used offensively to catch enemies off guard by armoring up and pushing quicker than expected. The only problem with Tempered is that it comes in the Perk 2 slot, meaning players will have to opt for it over Ghost or Overkill, two long-term meta perks. If you play aggressively and are confident, there’s probably not a better option in the game right now.

  • IceManIsaac reveals best Warzone 2 controller settings for Season 3 – Dexerto

IceManIsaac reveals best Warzone 2 controller settings for Season 3 ActivisionWarzone 2 Season 3 made a few changes to the menu, so IceManIsaac ran through every controller setting players should use. Season 3 made a few secret setting changes in Warzone 2. The New York Subliners recommended that players turn off cinematic music, weapon motion blur, and world motion blur. The latest seasonal update also made a few important changes to controller settings. With that in mind, IceManIsaac gave controller players an overview of the most important settings to know. IceManIsaac explains why using the best Warzone 2 settings makes a difference IceManIssac uses a custom Scuf controller, so some of his settings will be different than someone using a standard controller. However, there is still plenty to take away from his choices. Here are some of the basic settings he recommends. Vertical Stick Sensitivity: 6 – Horizontal Stick Sensitivity: 6 – ADS Sensitivity Multiplier: 0.85 – ADS Sight Behavior: Hold – Season 3 added a new controller setting called change zoom shared input. IceManIsaac explained why this feature is “huge.” “This is the setting that changes how you switch your optic.” He used the example of a variable zoom sniper scope that allows you to change the magnification or canted iron sight. You would typically use the sprint button to change optics, but doing that in the middle of a gunfight could result in disaster. You can now change it so the action uses the melee button instead, which won’t cause any issues when aiming down sight. Best Season 3 WZ2 settings Here are a few other notable Warzone 2 settings. Automatic sprint: Off – Aim Assist Type: Default – Aim Response Curve type: Dynamic – ADS Multiplier: 1 – Tactical Sprint behavior: Single Tap run – Invert Slide And Dive Behavior: Inverted – Weapon Mount Movement Exit Delay: Short – The YouTuber argued that players should invert sliding and diving because sliding is completely useless in Warzone 2. Diving as fast as possible is more important when attempting to escape a gunfight. Input Deadzone Left Stick Min: .03 – Right Stick Min: .03 – Left Stick Max: 1 – Right Stick Max: 1 – Left Trigger: .05 – Right Trigger: .05 – The goal is to get the left and right stick minimum as low as possible without experiencing stick drift. A trick to test this is by going into attachment tuning and seeing if the bars move by themselves. If the bars don’t move, it’s the right number. If you are looking for an extra edge in Warzone 2, try these settings.

  • IceManIsaac claims Warzone Season 4 will be “amazing” after playing new map early – Dexerto

IceManIsaac claims Warzone Season 4 will be “amazing” after playing new map early ActivisionIceManIsaac and other content creators had the opportunity to play Warzone’s new map Vondel early, and he believes the Season 4 update finally introduces community-requested changes eight months in the making. Warzone community members have been critical of the game’s implementation of AI. Some players labeled the devs as “out of touch” for also adding AI enemies to Ashika Island after disapproving of their initial addition to Al Mazrah. Another commonly brought up issue is the game’s fast time-to-kill. Season 3 Reloaded attempted to slow down the speed at which players die in close-range combat, but TrueGameData did his own testing and concluded that the update didn’t really have an impact on the game’s TTK. Season 4 aims to address those concerns by increasing the overall health of operators by 50 and removing AI from Strongholds. Warzone Season 4 playtest impresses IceManIsaac IceManIsaac shared his first impressions after playing the new Warzone Resurgence map before everyone else. The YouTuber prefaced his praise for the update by first admonishing Infinity Ward for not making these changes earlier. He expressed his disappointment over calling for changes eight months ago at COD Next and not seeing any results until now. “They were bullheaded and stubborn and didn’t change anything, and now we have a giant I told you so moment because I don’t know what the heck they have been doing with Warzone 2. They were trying to kill their franchise.” Despite his disapproval over how long it took, Isaac thoroughly enjoyed Vondel and the TTK and AI changes. After playing a few matches on Vondel, Isaac concluded: “It plays out really well, and it’s beautiful.” He pointed out that developers took extra care when developing buildings so players can only shoot from the top or bottom floor. This eliminates the need to worry about looking at every window in a building for enemies. Isaac is slightly concerned about the map’s large water areas as he “hates the water mechanics,” though he’ll wait until the update goes live to get a feel for how it plays. Besides a new map, Season 4 adds an additional 50 health to players, which IceManIsaac believes will slow down TTK speeds by roughly 20%. “Longer health allows for more skill to be shown. You have to hit more shots, and you can potentially use more movement for outplay.” In addition, AI enemies have been removed from Strongholds as part of the seasonal update but will still be at Blacksite locations. Squads can also recapture Stronghold locations throughout a match, something IceManIsaac has long preached about. Warzone Season 4 starts on June 14, so players don’t need to wait much longer before giving the new changes a try for themselves.

  • IceManIsaac claims Warzone 2 devs are “killing” BR with “brain dead design” – Dexerto

IceManIsaac claims Warzone 2 devs are “killing” BR with “brain dead design” ActivisionWarzone 2 streamer IceManIsaac has outed numerous problems with the game and believes that the devs are actually “killing their game” as a result. Since launch, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has had its fair share of criticism, with lots of comments directed toward the game’s new features: no Loadouts, 2v2 Gulags, and the removal of slide canceling. Over the last few months though, the devs have slowly reverted all the incremental changes that added up to a new game, to the point that the title resembles the original more than it does a fully-fledged sequel. Despite this, popular CoD streamer IceManIsaac thinks that Warzone 2 has too many problems right now, and the overall gameplay design is slowly killing the game. Warzone 2 devs are killing their own battle royale game In a series of tweets, IceManIsaac has not held back in his criticism of the Warzone 2 devs and has provided multiple examples of where they’re going wrong. “3+ years later and we still have secondary pistols that kill in two shots. 360ms TTK vs MP5 TTK of 525ms. Elementary mistakes like this make me think they’ll never get it right. There’s no excuse here. This doesn’t require development hours. They never learn from their mistakes,” one tweet said. The streamer also pointed out some other fundamental issues with the game that he thinks are ruining it such as unbalanced weapons and mobility issues. IceManIsaac also believes that the devs have slowly made the game worse with disliked gameplay mechanics more commonly seen in the original: “They literally brought back every bad thing we hated from Warzone 1. Two hit melees, 100 health, fire shotties, LMG meta, akimbo pistols, Helis in solos, the list is WAY too long for Twitter. When one user brought up the matter of Activision’s business model, IceManIsaac explained how “They’re literally killing their game in every way possible. Wait for Q1 earnings to be released. Their “business model” has nothing to do with brain dead gameplay design.” In order to improve communication going forward, with players also accusing devs ignoring a promise to listen to feedback, the content creator has said he has “a direct line to Warzone 2 devs.” He continued: “I’m crafting a video listing everything wrong with in-game video examples. Tell me every bug you know of, any change you want, etc. and I’ll send it up.” With other top streamers such as HusKerrs and Syndicate laying into the game, and Aydan leaving Warzone 2 altogether, a big shift could be what is necessary for Warzone 2 and its falling numbers.

  • HusKerrs threatens to quit Warzone due to ‘unfair’ controller aim assist – Dexerto

HusKerrs threatens to quit Warzone due to ‘unfair’ controller aim assist Twitter: HusKerrs / ActivisionWarzone star HusKerrs appears to have reached his breaking point with controller aim assist, explaining why he might leave the Call of Duty battle royale behind if the situation doesn’t improve. No different from the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends, Warzone is another popular battle royale title that allows various forms of input to coexist in the same lobby. A squad full of controller players can easily bump into a squad full of gamers using a mouse and keyboard. It’s this core feature of Warzone’s gameplay that has the biggest Twitch streamers debating over the past few weeks. With controller players having access to powerful aim assist, is it really a fair battle out in Verdansk? FPS veteran Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek was left stunned by just how sharp Warzone aim assist is during a recent $75,000 Twitch Rivals tourney. Now, shroud’s duo for that event, HusKerrs, is right there with him, even threatening to quit Warzone altogether. This shit makes me wanna quit Warzone. It’s just not an even playing field for MnK at the top https://t.co/M5hscJaKYs — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) August 28, 2021 Fellow Warzone streamer Almond shared a highlight on August 29 with the simple caption “aim assist [for the win].” The clip showed how controller players may have a slight edge in 1v1 gunfights. Being able to slightly track enemies through surfaces and pre-aim them could be the difference between a win and a loss. It’s this clip that led HusKerrs to lash out on social media. “This s*** makes me wanna quit Warzone,” the NRG streamer stressed in response. “It’s just not an even playing field for [mouse and keyboard] at the top.” His reaction opened the floodgates once again as dozens of players chimed in with their own takes on the drama. Sniping legend FaZe Pamaj even extended an open invitation for HusKerrs to “plug in the controller. “No one is stopping yall,” he said. “Not that easy to just ‘plug in a controller’ and compete with the best controller players in the world,” HusKerrs replied. Rather than swapping sides and picking up the sticks, HusKerrs instead wanted to highlight “that aim assist is a little too strong.” In 1v1 gunfights between controller players and those with a mouse and keyboard, the latter “can’t be off by the slightest amount or they lose,” he argued. Not that easy to just “plug in a controller” and compete with the best controller players in the world. The argument is that aim assist is a little too strong to the point where MnK literally can’t be off by the slightest amount or they lose the gunfight up close — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) August 28, 2021 Despite his complaints, and even teasing the notion he’d step away from Warzone entirely, HusKerrs didn’t provide a solution for the issue. For the time being, it doesn’t appear as though anything is set to change in Warzone. The top Warzone competitions will still allow players of all backgrounds to jump in. Perhaps with enough outrage though, we might see separate tournaments down the line.

  • HusKerrs & Symfuhny outraged after Vikkstar “griefs” in Warzone Wednesday – Dexerto

HusKerrs & Symfuhny outraged after Vikkstar “griefs” in Warzone Wednesday Twitter, @Symfuhny / Instagram, @VikkstagramOne of the most highly anticipated matchups in this week’s Warzone Wednesday tournament ended with major controversy, as WarsZ and Vikkstar were accused of “griefing” by HusKerrs and Symfuhny. The chance to win $20,000 is sweet, but sometimes that road is paved with salt. That proved true in Week 9 of KEEMSTAR’s Warzone Wednesday series, during the first-round match between the tournament’s two strongest teams. Widely considered two of the best Warzone players in the world, HusKerrs has one world record for kills in a game (Duos) and two Warzone Wednesday victories (Weeks 1 and 2) while Vikkstar also has a world record (Quads) and three Warzone Wednesday wins (Weeks 6, 7, and 8). But the latter’s teammate, WarsZ, decided to C4 HusKerr and Symfuhny’s helicopter during their match—sending the pair into a confused rage. Surely blowing up the opponents helicopter is sabotaging?? @Vikkstar123 @Symfuhny #WarzoneWednesdays pic.twitter.com/fBJ0Trlj7r — 𝓑𝓻𝕒𝔫𝕕𝑜𝔫 (@BrnDyll) June 10, 2020 Vikkstar and WarsZ already had a strong lead in the match, but joked about stealing or destroying their opponents’ heli, while they were off at a Buy Station. This would make a comeback even less likely for their opponents. One C4 later and the dominant player simply laughed and remarked: “That’s some toxic behavior.” On the other side, HusKerrs was perplexed and Symfuhny was confusedly livid: “Wait, did they just blow up our heli? … Is that allowed? I thought this was a no-griefing tournament … Is that s**t allowed or what?” The duo proceeded to play the rest of the match out in a state of puzzled annoyance, with Symfuhny reaching out to KEEMSTAR for clarification and the likes of Twitch chat, Twitter, and other top players all chiming in with their opinions. At one point, Symfuhny noted that cloakzy, popular streamer and longtime friendly antagonist, had chimed in against the play by Vikkstar and WarsZ: “Even Cloak is saying ‘I’d say that’s sabotage,’ and Cloak doesn’t like me.” As for the official ruling, Symfuhny let his teammate know as soon as he got a response from KEEMSTAR that the play by their opponents, while morally ambiguous, was still fair. As stated on stream, the tournament organizer’s ruling was succinct: “That’s a grey area, I don’t think that’s technically sabotage.” Ultimately, Vikkstar and WarsZ saw their streak ended, in a feat of karmic balancing, after losing two consecutive matches, the second at the hands of KingRichard and Jukeyz in the Loser’s Bracket. Unable to complete a true Cinderella story, HusKerrs and Symfuhny won their first Loser’s Bracket round before ironically losing because the former’s helicopter exploded after clipping a tree mid-flight.

  • HusKerrs slams Warzone hackusation channels for spewing “bullsh*t” to get clicks – Dexerto

HusKerrs slams Warzone hackusation channels for spewing “bullsh*t” to get clicks Twitch: HusKerrs/ActivisionWarzone pro Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas has called out YouTube channels that accuse pro players of hacking, slamming them for their damaging clickbait content. While the release of the ricochet anti-cheat engine has helped alleviate the number of hackers in Warzone, there are still a number of players that manage to slip through the net. As a result, it can sometimes be tricky to tell whether a player is just naturally talented at the game or actually using cheats to get an advantage. Because of this, a number of hackusation channels like Call of Shame and BadBoy Beaman have risen in popularity. These channels target Warzone streamers and content creators who they believe are using hacks in-game. While this may sound like a noble cause, a false accusation can negatively impact a streamer’s reputation. HusKerrs recently called out these channels, explaining how they just spew “bullshit” for clicks. HusKerrs calls out Warzone hackusation channels If you’ve played Warzone and are actively involved in the streaming community, then chances are you’ve seen clips that claim to uncover certain players cheating. While these clips often have very little info to go off outside of speculation, they can be extremely damaging to the streamers and pros they target. “It would be one thing if Call of Shame and BadBoy Beaman accused maybe one, maybe two people of cheating, but once they accused ten notable streamers of cheating – like, what do you think the odds are that there are eight to ten notable streamers cheating in Warzone?” The latest streamers to be labeled as cheaters by these channels are JoeWo, ZLaner, TimTheTatman, and Aydan. While it’s not uncommon for talented players to get accused of using hacks, the dogpiling that results from these viral clips can cause a lot of harm to those accused. In fact, the amount of streamers that get highlighted by these channels is something that ZLaner believes is suspicious. “You think all eight of these people are getting away with it? Like, that should be the first sign that they’re just spewing bullsh*t out of their arse,” said HusKerrs. “I’m really tempted to believe that they both don’t actually think that all of these streamers actually cheat, they’re just doing it to get clicks. Like, the sad part is, they’re actually convincing people on YouTube that we do cheat.” Hopefully, Warzone 2 will feature a robust anti-cheat that makes it less likely for innocent players to get caught up in the drama, but for now, many of the game’s content creators simply have to deal with this frustrating situation.

  • HusKerrs slams Warzone 2 servers after infuriating loss: “I f**king hate this game” – Dexerto

HusKerrs slams Warzone 2 servers after infuriating loss: “I f**king hate this game” ActivisionHusKerrs was seconds away from winning a Warzone 2 match when the servers sabotaged him in a major way. Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas is a legend in the battle royale community. As of right now, Warzone 2 is his main game. Anytime he’s live there’s a good chance he’s entertaining a few thousand people as he racks up Al Mazrah wins. The streamer has put a lot of time into the game, meaning he’s experienced all of the bugs and problems that the game has to offer too. Still, that couldn’t prepare him for this bout of desync that absolutely ruined his 1v1 for yet another dub. HusKerrs rages at Warzone 2 servers Thomas had the power position in the match’s final circle with only one enemy remaining. He had racked up 18 kills and was in the perfect spot to add the 19th and final elimination to his total. The stars aligned perfectly when the incoming enemy was forced to run uphill toward him with no cover. It looked to be an easy gunfight as HusKerrs landed the first few shots, but as he backed down to reposition, several shots all landed at the same time, eliminating him from the game out of nowhere. Naturally, he was stunned by the loss until the killcam revealed exactly what happened. “Did he just shoot me through the box?” After closer inspection, it was easy to tell that it was just a bout of desync, and that the server connection was responsible for his random death. “What the f**k was that desync?” he complained. “I’m actually f**ing windblown at that. I had 60-millisecond latency, and that death right there was like I had 300.” He went on to call it “one of the most bullsh*t” deaths he’s had in Warzone 2 and laughed at how much further ahead the other player he must have been. This kind of problem has popped up in Warzone before and remains a huge complaint around the community. For all the latest gaming news and updates, be sure to check out Dexerto’s full coverage here.

  • HusKerrs says Warzone 2 is “chalked” for mouse & keyboard players – Dexerto

HusKerrs says Warzone 2 is “chalked” for mouse & keyboard players Twitch: HusKerrsHusKerrs claims Warzone 2 is completely chalked for mouse and keyboard players after a few days of in-game experience. HusKerrs is one of the most accomplished Call of Duty players in the world. A veteran of the Search & Destroy tournament scene before leaving to take on the entire battle royale genre, he has truly seen everything there is to see in terms of competitive FPS gameplay. The experience gives him a well-rounded perspective not only on the franchise that his roots are in but also on quality standards across the industry and after going hands-on with Warzone 2 for a few days, he figures it’s going to be a tough game for those who prefer to play on mouse and keys as opposed to controller. HusKerrs gives grim mouse and keyboard verdict for Warzone 2 It’s no secret that Warzone 2 is a very different game from its predecessor. Whether looting or fighting, there are some major changes across the board in this new era. Between the arrival of a new movement system, revamped aim assist, and a completely new roster of weapons, there are a lot of fresh things to get used to in Al Mazrah as compared to Verdansk or Caldera. All of these updates (combined with some frustrating issues that only seem to affect PC players) make using M+K a very different experience than playing on controller and HusKerrs reckons it’s just too much to overcome for now. “Warzone 2 on MnK is chalked,” he tweeted, sparking a thread of players gathering to share their complaints. One such fan noted that they used to play Warzone for four hours a day but that the sequel is “not fun at all” and feels like an outdated experience. Another player agreed, calling it a “painful” experience that “needs a lot of work” before being on par with the previous incarnation. It’s still early days so the WZ2 team still has time to improve the experience all around, but for now, it looks like it’ll be rough going for the MnK diehards.

  • HusKerrs instantly sets Warzone kills PR after trying controller aim assist – Dexerto

HusKerrs instantly sets Warzone kills PR after trying controller aim assist Activision & HusKerrsHusKerrs, a well-known Warzone YouTuber, has recently set a new PR in kills in the game after trying out a controller with aim assist. The Warzone community has long been arguing over the game’s use of aim assist on controllers, with many players arguing it puts keyboard and mouse users at a disadvantage. The implementation of aim assist was seen as a way to counteract with the innate advantage that those keyboard and mouse players had beforehand. Now, a Warzone YouTuber has added fuel to the fire after breaking their kill PR after switching over to a controller for a match. HusKerrs has broken his Warzone PR by using aim assist on controller HusKerrs made his announcement on his X profile, posting an image of the scoreboard after finishing the match. The scoreboard shows that HusKerrs led his squad with a whopping 52 kills in a single match. For context, a match of Warzone can have up to 150 players in it, so he was responsible for taking out a massive portion of the lobby. Just plugged in a controller and finally broke my PR on the new map 🤯 https://t.co/zGsSeY1Fzh pic.twitter.com/vMNIAajWcM — LG HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) December 27, 2023 HusKerrs’ post is reinvigorating the players who are upset with the game’s use of aim assist on controller. Aim assist is a mechanic that will have the game automatically aim at an enemy to give controller players an easier time in the game. This is done to counteract the more concise, easier aiming of a keyboard and mouse. However, a good portion of the community believes that Activision has taken the power of aim assist too far and is ruining the Warzone experience for PC players. There are plenty of players who don’t think the issue is that bad, and many of them took to HusKerrs’ post to offer their own insight. One user did not mince their words with their response: “I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that you’re already a great controller player from playing COD on CONTROLLER for years before mnk.” With posts from popular content creators like this, it doesn’t seem like the debate is going to be ending anytime soon.

Warzone pro HusKerrs almost misses major tournament for bizarre reason Activision / Twitter: HusKerrsPopular streamers have been known to have separate rooms to work from so they can sound proof it and not disturb neighbors. Things can get extremely rowdy in the heat of battle and you definitely don’t want a noise complaint to kill the vibes of a gaming session. However, it’s impossible to stream and play when you’re locked out of your room, and HusKerrs was faced with this exact problem just a few hours before a Warzone tournament. HusKerrs pays to play in Warzone tournament On March 26, HusKerrs was getting ready to load up his stream and warmup for a Rebirth Island tournament. But, things went south for the streamer when his door wouldn’t open. o the keypad on my office door magically stopped working and I don’t have the key to unlock it… what are my options? I have a tournament in 2 hours pic.twitter.com/jJJz2J665j — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) March 26, 2022 The World Series of Warzone champ informed his fans on Twitter that his office door keypad randomly broke and he didn’t have a key to open it. So, like every other normal person would do, he called a professional to try and pick the lock. However, due to its structure, the lock was not pick-able and needed to be destroyed. And to make matter worse for Husk, it wasn’t going to be free. He revealed that it would cost $250 to remove it. and when HusKerrs finally went live on Twitch, he told his chat that he felt like he got ripped off. “He [the locksmith] was 100% scamming me, $250 for 7 minuets of drilling a lock.” HusKerrs said he only did it because he was on a “time crunch” and needed to get in quick for the tournament. So, in the end it just turned out to be an expensive “entry fee” to play, as he had no other way to access his PC and compete in the Warzone event.

  • HusKerrs explains his beef with NICKMERCS over Warzone and wants to end it – Dexerto

HusKerrs explains his beef with NICKMERCS over Warzone and wants to end it FaZe Clan/NRGJordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas has released a lengthy statement offering insight into his ongoing beef with fellow Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, detailing the incidents that have driven the two to no longer get along. While most fans are aware that there’s some bad blood between these two top Warzone streamers, many aren’t sure why or how it continues to be that way. What started as just in-game disagreements became much bigger, with personal jabs thrown either way and growing resentment towards each other and between the two communities. After “several months” of trying to ignore the situation, HusKerrs has posted a TwitLonger, calling for the beef to end. An update on the @NICKMERCS situation and why it needs to be addressed. Read: https://t.co/ayKynFSdxN — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) May 12, 2021 On May 12, HusKerrs posted his TwitLonger, providing “an update on the NICKMERCS situation and why it needs to be addressed.” It starts by explaining the context of their initial disagreement. During a tournament, with HusKerrs and Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier facing off against Nick and Swagg, the pair came to blows after they refused to give Nick and Swagg host. Five months later, Nick unfollowed HusKerrs on Twitter. Since then, frequent clips have been shared of the two bad-mouthing each other, as detailed in the post. More recently, however, between May 11-12, Nick spoke out more on HusKerrs and the ongoing situation. In the video embedded below, Nick urges his fans not to harass people who aren’t part of his MFAM or are HusKerrs supporters. He also adds that “you reap what you sow” in regards to HusKerrs’ “behavior” during the tournament. The TwitLonger ends saying that he’s never hated Nick and that he’s “tired of constantly dealing with hatred and toxicity.” HusKerrs’ final statement was this: “I’d be more than happy to speak with Nick privately to end this, but I felt it necessary to inform people of everything that happened so they have a better understanding.” So, regardless of which side of the argument you sit, these two streaming powerhouses reconciling or at least finding a positive middle ground looks the best option. HusKerrs has extended the hand, and it’s up to Nick whether he wants to take it.

  • HusKerrs defends rumored Warzone 2 movement change: “It’s just so broken” – Dexerto

HusKerrs defends rumored Warzone 2 movement change: “It’s just so broken” ActivisionWarzone pro Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas has given his opinion on the game’s slide canceling and how he believes that the rumored changes will help bring more balance to the battle royale. Slide canceling is a big part of the current meta in Warzone. Not only does it give players enhanced mobility, but it can drastically impact your survivability. When this movement mechanic is utilized in conjunction with tac sprint and a snappy aim, there’s often little players can do to counter it. In fact, movement gods like Aydan and JoeWo have demonstrated just how potent this combination can be in Warzone. After all, running rings around your foes and being able to dodge incoming bullets is incredibly useful in any FPS. However, not everyone is a fan of the movement meta and HusKerrs believes the rumored Warzone 2 slide canceling changes will ultimately lead to fairer matches. HusKerrs on Warzone 2 slide canceling removal During his recent stream, Warzone pro HusKerrs was asked about his opinion on slide canceling and whether he thought it should be removed in Warzone 2. “Part of me wants there to be slide canceling because it is a skill gap,” said the pro player. However, HusKerrs does believe that console players do have an advantage when it comes to movement techniques, especially when compared to their PC counterparts. “Sometimes the movement people do is just so broken. Like, especially for a mouse player, it’s literally impossible to track.” Whether slide canceling will be completely removed in Warzone 2 remains to be seen, but a senior Warzone developer has hinted at possible changes coming to slide canceling in the future, saying that he has been “looking for a good excuse to fix slide canceling for almost a year.” Raven Software Senior Creative Director Ted Timmins posted about the topic on May 1, where he announced that he wants to find a “fix” for this “exploitable accessibility ceiling.” Slide canceling has been divisive within the Warzone community for a while now, and like many players, HusKerrs and Scump have been vocal about seeing changes in the upcoming sequel.

  • HusKerrs claims Warzone 2 devs only care about controller players as mouse lag continues – Dexerto

HusKerrs claims Warzone 2 devs only care about controller players as mouse lag continues YouTube: HusKerrsCall of Duty has always been seen as a console game, and although improvements have been made in recent years for PC players, the emergence of mouse lag in Warzone 2 has pushed Huskerrs to call out Infinity Ward. In the past, the PC releases of Call of Duty were not necessarily seen as the main focus in the community. The series has almost always focused primarily on console but its presence on PC has been growing over the last few years, particularly with the popularity of Warzone. As CoD grows, the dispute over which input is superior does too. This divide is especially controversial on PC where there is no option to disable crossplay in Warzone 2. The feature is exclusive to PlayStation consoles although there is a workaround on Xbox Series X/S. HusKerrs is fed up with Warzone 2 mouse lag HusKerrs took to Twitter to complain about the latest issue that he feels is handicapping mouse and keyboard players in Warzone 2. The Warzone pro has grown sick the the “mouse input issues,” that some players have been experiencing since launch. More specifically, HusKerrs is referring to the mouse latency problems that have been known to frustrate impacted MnK players. Those that suffer from this latency will have noticeable lag when trying to aim with a mouse which can make winning gunfights more difficult. Not everyone agreed with HusKerrs’ take though. Warzone streamer Repullze insists input lag isn’t just a mouse and keyboard problem: “We got input delay too brotha. Went to [Fortnite] and it’s night and day how snappy it feels.” This is not the first time that HusKerrs has spoken out about the state of Warzone 2. As pointed out in this very tweet, HusKerrs thinks that this year’s buffs to aim assist and the increased visual recoil also hurt MnK players. His frustrations have even led the Warzone pro to consider switching to controller. Maintaining a healthy balance between controller and mouse is not easy. Both inputs have their pros and cons and most FPS games that feature crossplay struggle with this. Given that most Call of Duty players use controllers it seems unlikely that the devs will be addressing HusKerrs complaints anytime soon.

  • HusKerrs calls NICKMERCS a “manbaby” after Warzone drama & Twitter unfollow – Dexerto

HusKerrs calls NICKMERCS a “manbaby” after Warzone drama & Twitter unfollow Twitter: HusKerrs / YouTube: NICKMERCSJordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas has lashed out at Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, calling him a “manbaby,” after five month old Warzone drama finally reached a breaking point on February 17. [jwplayer bjQdhi3F] Five months after an incident during a Warzone tournament and HusKerrs has finally snapped. The popular Warzone streamer called out NICKMERCS during his latest broadcast after the FaZe star unfollowed him on Twitter. When a viewer suggested that he play with Nick, HusKerrs quickly shut them down and set off on a rant about earlier drama. “Nick doesn’t like me,” he explained. “He unfollowed me on Twitter so I don’t know, I guess he actually doesn’t like me.” What supposedly led to this social media spat was an argument that occurred roughly five months ago. During a regular Warzone tournament, the two eventually squared off against each other and things quickly went downhill. “Nick has beef with me because [of] a tourney that was five months ago,”he said. While teaming with Symfuhny, the duo managed to topple NICKMERCS and FaZe Swagg. However, it didn’t appear to be the cleanest victory. “They tried to take host for the second map when they hosted first map,” HusKerrs explained. This created tension among the lobby as Nick allegedly wanted to yoink hosting privileges for both maps in the series. Outside of a potential network advantage, the reasoning behind Nick’s request was to avoid cheaters. “You’re on PC, if you host, there’s a higher chance there’s going to be hackers,” he said according to HusKerrs. What ultimately transpired was a quick “f*** you” from HusKerrs as he and Symfuhny “[took] host.” According to the NRG content creator, “[NICKMERCS] was a f***ing manbaby and cried about it.” While it might seem like a minor gripe at the time, this is seemingly what led to NICKMERCS unfollowing HusKerrs on Twitter. That was the last straw and now the beef is public knowledge. “I would say that to his face,” HusKerrs added. “Bring him in my Discord, I don’t care. Literally clip it and send it to him. He unfollowed me on Twitter because of all that.” You don’t become the highest earner in the game for nothing… You’ve voted @HusKerrs as Warzone Player of the Year in the #DexertoAwards! https://t.co/M72HCnq3Vq pic.twitter.com/iCphY1kAbR — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) December 15, 2020 As two of the biggest names in the Warzone community, there’s no telling if the pair will get back on the same page. • HusKerrs breaks down key changes Warzone needs ahead of Season 2 launch – Dexerto

HusKerrs breaks down key changes Warzone needs ahead of Season 2 launch Twitch: HusKerrs/ActivisionWith Season 2 of Warzone Pacific right around the corner, a number of players have started making their wishlists for the next chapter of Caldera — including top pro Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas. Caldera and the CoD: Vanguard integration launched at the end of 2021 to very mixed opinions, with some players wanting to return to Verdansk or see some major changes to improve the game. While opinions have been split on the first season of Warzone Pacific, there are some changes that most agree on. In a post on Twitter on February 7, just a week before Season 2 was due to kick off, HusKerrs listed some of his main gripes with the game and changes he wants to see implemented. Saying that these things would “drastically improve” Warzone, he listed: Increase base health by 50 – Nerf Bren and buff bullet velocity on Vanguard ARs to match CW/MW ARs – Change dead silence spawn rate to that of stopping power at the end of Verdansk – Nerf incendiary – A few easy things @RavenSoftware can do to improve Warzone drastically: • Increase base health by 50 • Nerf Bren and buff bullet velocity on Vanguard ARs to match CW/MW ARs • Change dead silence spawn rate to that of stopping power at the end of Verdansk • Nerf incendiary— HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) February 7, 2022 Some of these things are features that players have called for for a long time. Base health has long been an issue, with players believing that the TTK is too fast, hence the popularity of the Iron Trials mode. Players have always wanted a Bren nerf and changes to bullet velocity for some time, while Dead Silence has been divisive ever since day one on Verdansk back in March 2020. In the replies, players called for other changes such as the removal of Peak, aim assist nerfs, increased player count and more, making for a pretty long list of things players want to see happen in Warzone. With Season 2 arriving on Monday, February 14, it’s not long to wait to find out what exactly is happening, anyway — and maybe HusKerrs will get some of his wishes answered.

  • HusKerrs becomes first Warzone player to break $100K in earnings – Dexerto

HusKerrs becomes first Warzone player to break $100K in earnings Infinity Ward / Twitter, @HusKerrsPopular streamer Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas has officially cracked $100,000 in earnings from Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments, extending his lead and continuing to set the pace for the battle royale’s best. An NRG content creator, HusKerrs has catapulted into the mainstream Twitch community’s collective consciousness in 2020 thanks to effortless domination in Warzone. Playing on PC, the streamer exudes consistency at the highest level of play and gets tilted as rarely as he shoots shakily. With a straight shot that refuses to waver, HusKerrs capped off the last week of Warzone tournaments with a first-place finish in Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown and a second-place at Twitch Rivals. The former tournament boasted a record-breaking $210,000 prize pool and the latter, a sturdy $100,000. Following those tournaments, the star streamer has left the country for a vacation and taken to Twitter to update his checklist. First on that list, an esport milestone as the only player to hit $100,000 in Warzone earnings. And, second, a personal benchmark of hitting 100,000 Twitter followers. $100,000 earned on Warzone ✅ 100,000 followers on Twitter ✅ pic.twitter.com/qyPi9zh3Ap — HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) October 27, 2020 Even if you disregarded every single Warzone tournament before his last two, HusKerrs would still be 15th-highest earner from the battle royale since its debut in March 2020. That’s in major thanks to Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown, as the NRG man and his duo, AverageJoeWo, carved off the largest chunk of that historic prize pool. Netting $15,000 from the Showdown’s Grand Finals ties the most money individually earned since the Minnesota ROKRR’s tournament in early October. Already ahead of Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad, who sits at No. 2 in the earnings rankings with $64K, these recent performances extend the lead and earn HusKerrs a well-deserved vacation. From handling business in the competitive Apex Legends circuit for Rogue to being the center of Warzone business, HusKerr’s gaming career is on an upward trajectory. Now, it appears that an entirely new horizon is opening up for the 24-year-old royale maestro. Starting on October 30, he will be hosting, casting, and analyzing the next giant Warzone tournament: HusKerrs’ Howl. The $300,000 tournament will feature 32 players, including top competitors like Aydan and Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier, split into duos for a two-week, double-elimination format.

  • HusKerrs bashes “stale” Warzone 2 leadership for being “out of touch” – Dexerto

HusKerrs bashes “stale” Warzone 2 leadership for being “out of touch” Twitch/HusKerrsJordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas is a battle royale legend who has deep roots in the Call of Duty community and he has taken a shot at the “out of touch” leadership behind Warzone 2. HusKerrs is a force to be reckoned with in every battle royale that he has touched. The former H1Z1 pro also took over the Warzone scene when it first debuted back in 2021, and he has stuck around through the transition into Warzone 2 as well. He was the first player to reach $100,000 in earnings from WZ back in the day and his name still commands respect in the sequel. However, he’s clearly not happy with the state of things, and in a tweet on March 3, he aired out his frustration over the direction of the game so far. HusKerrs calls out Call of Duty leadership over Warzone 2 concerns Thomas held nothing back when talking about the developers’ decision-making, specifically calling out a lack of connection between the higher-ups and the hardcore fans of their game. “Warzone 2 might be the most unbalanced and stale game from a AAA studio I have ever played in my 20 years of gaming,” he claimed. “Never have I seen a studio leadership so out of touch with the game and the community. It’s a damn shame” He continued on while replying to other fans, and agreed that the PC version of Warzone has a number of problems beyond its console counterparts. “That’s a whole other set of issues that I won’t even bother going into, but yeah you are right in that the game is even worse for MnK players.” That’s a whole other set of issues that I won’t even bother going into hahah, but yeah you are right in that the game is even worse for MnK players — LG HusKerrs (@HusKerrs) March 4, 2023 HusKerrs isn’t alone in feeling like Warzone 2 hasn’t lived up to the expectation set by the first game, as other huge streamers have also raised complaints even after the major gameplay changes that arrived with Season 2.

  • Huntsmen’s FormaL explains why beating Empire was “so satisfying” – Dexerto

Huntsmen’s FormaL explains why beating Empire was “so satisfying” Huntsmen – Twitter / Empire / DexertoThe Chicago Huntsmen got a convincing victory over Dallas Empire in day one of the CDL Launch Weekend, and legendary Call of Duty pro Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper said the win was “so satisfying.” Despite the CDL not having even kicked off yet, the Chicago Huntsmen and Dallas Empire came into the Launch Weekend already considered by many to be utter rivals. Not only are they two of the highest-rated teams, but both organizations have remnants of the old OpTic Gaming – Team Envy ‘eClasico‘ rivalry, as well as players on each side who once were teammates during the peak of their careers. Their highly-anticipated first meeting, however, ended up being much more one-sided that many expected, as Chicago upset the higher-rated Dallas team 3-1 and looked like the more dominant side throughout the affair. Following the match, ESPN Esports caught up with FormaL, who was outstanding in his performance, and asked for his opinion about the matchup and the result. “Both teams, you could tell they really wanted to win that and there was a lot of trash talk leading up to the event and there was a lot of animosity in the match for sure,” FormaL said. “But to come out on top like that is just so satisfying.” Much of the discussion leading up to the Launch Weekend had been about how dominant the Empire had been in their preseason scrims, hardly losing to anyone in their practice matches. FormaL, speaking about Dallas’ performance, reiterated what his teammate Seth ‘Scump’ Abner had said a few weeks ago – the dominated scrims “didn’t matter because LAN is where everything counts.” Read More: ACHES criticizes CDL after map forfeit – “From how they were playing online to the event, online is just a different atmosphere,” he explained. “Guys are playing at home. They’re really comfortable. They take different challenges and they play a little bit differently. Onstage when the lights hit you and the crowd is going … it affects you mentally.” FormaL’s reaction to the victory and how it was “so satisfying” makes a lot of sense considering the trash-talking that went on between the two organizations and their players leading up to Launch Weekend. He and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner did not like Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter mocking a poster of OpTic Gaming’s World Championship victory in 2017, which explains why the T2P were yelling and gesturing so demonstrably following the win. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1220865301031587841?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1220865301031587841&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comcall-of-dutyscump-roasts-crimsix-after-huntsmen-dominate-empire-at-cdl-launch-weekend-1318279 While FormaL left his comments for his interview with ESPN Esports, Scump wasted no time to talk his trash, hopping on the analysts desk in the post-match discussion and sending a special message to Crimsix. • Huntsmen & FaZe groups changed days after ACHES accuses CDL of bias – Dexerto

Huntsmen & FaZe groups changed days after ACHES accuses CDL of bias Huntsmen / Faze / CDLThe Call of Duty League schedule has been adjusted, just a day after veteran Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price raised concerns over the schedules of Atlanta FaZe and Chicago Huntsmen. The long-awaited Call of Duty League got off to a shaky start as controversy mounted over the game’s competitive rulings, and players were blindsided by an unfortunately timed Modern Warfare patch. Regardless, the first weekend of games was full of action and amazing gameplay – somewhat easing the minds of fans. At least that was the case until yet another problem arose, as ACHES pointed out a “massive” concern in the schedule, noting that Huntsmen and FaZe wouldn’t ever be placed in the same group. This was quite concerning for players and fans of the CDL, as every other team was place together at least once, bringing the integrity of the league into question. However, Call of Duty League officials were quick to respond to this issue through a news post on their website, citing it as an error and quickly putting up an updated schedule. An official statement reads: “Yesterday, on January 27th, the community discovered an issue on our league website and in broadcast graphics, where the schedule was not being displayed accurately. We have now updated the website to reflect the correct groups and schedule.” The updates affected matches in Chicago and Toronto, resulting in FaZe and Huntsmen both being placed in group A at the start of April on Chicago’s home turf. “Chicago Home Series – DAL vs OGLA is in Group B, not Group A. LDN vs ATL is in Group A, not Group B. Toronto Home Series – TOR vs LAG was incorrect. TOR vs OGLA is the correct match and has been updated to read accurately on the Schedule page.” These changes are undoubtedly a positive sign for the CDL going forward, as the league quickly reacted to community feedback and fixed a big problem. If things continue to be resolved in the same way, then there’s no doubt 2020 will be an exciting year for competitive Call of Duty.

  • Huke reveals why OpTic Texas dropped iLLeY & picked up Ghosty – Dexerto

Huke reveals why OpTic Texas dropped iLLeY & picked up Ghosty YouTube: H3CZCuyler ‘Huke’ Garland is a newcomer to the OpTic Texas roster, but he’s the first member to shed light on why the team decided to drop two-year veteran Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal and pick up Challengers star Ghosty ahead of Major 3. OpTic Texas has suffered an unprecedented amount of roster drama throughout the 2023 Call of Duty League season. It started with the early offseason decision to drop iLLeY and Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell, and so far has resulted in Scump’s retirement, benching for both Dhaliwal & Otell, and two new pickups, and an astounding Top 4 placing at Major 2. Now, the roster looks to be settled with Huke, Shottzy, Dashy, and newcomer Ghosty. In an interview with H3CZ, Garland opened up about why the team needed even more new blood to move forward. Huke & H3CZ talk about the decision to drop iLLeY & pick up Ghosty At the start of February 12’s episode of The Eavesdrop, both H3CZ and Garland made it clear that the move wasn’t personal, with both speaking well of Dhaliwal. A bit later in the show, Huke revealed that, from his perspective, it seemed like moving on was the best option for the squad as a whole. “I think we all love Inder, I think everyone does, it just seemed like to me, something that wasn’t needed, but was on people’s minds on the team for a while now,” he said. “[Shottzy, Dashy, and iLLeY] know a lot about how they work, and if they can work…I think it was just one of those needed moves for everyone to move on.” Garland also had high praise for his new teammate. “I think moving forward with Ghosty, he’s someone that’s highly looked at right now. I’m excited to have him here. I’m excited for him to come on board to showcase what he’s got. I think he’s got it.” He went on to say that Ghosty has nothing to worry about and that he believes the Challengers standout’s skill should be enough to justify the move at the end of the day. OpTic Texas will be back in action during the upcoming Major 3 qualifiers with its third new-look squad of the season.

  • Huke reveals struggles with Adderall usage, explains LA Thieves & Empire situation – Dexerto

Huke reveals struggles with Adderall usage, explains LA Thieves & Empire situation Huke YouTubeCall of Duty 2020 World Champion Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland opened up about his Adderall use at the height of his career and the reckoning he faced at Dallas Empire and LA Thieves while trying to recover. Huke, 21, says he started using Adderall somewhere around the age of 18, a few years after the budding Call of Duty pro was developing into one of the most promising talents in the scene. Adderall, a drug that’s part Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine, helps improve concentration and focus, working as a central nervous system stimulant. Huke described taking the drug as a way to cope with the pressures in the CDL, but saw that it wasn’t making him feel good. “I won Champs, and I didn’t really feel good,” Huke said. “On the inside, I was very grateful for winning… But those couple of days afterwards, I didn’t feel good. It was mainly because of one thing, I, at the time, was taking Adderall.” “I’m playing out of anger, rather than joy.” “”I won Champs and I didn’t really feel good.”” Huke has opened up about using Adderall at his CoD champs win, and how it affected mental health. pic.twitter.com/pwqE7jCb2j — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) June 9, 2021 The mood swings while playing Call of Duty at the competitive level left him wanting on a personal level. He says he remembers the joy that competing would give him, but he wasn’t getting that during his time using the drug. At the start of the 2021 CDL season, Huke was looking forward to dropping the drug in exchange for much healthier habits. Meditation, healthy eating, and cold showers were his remedies to staying off Adderall, with noticeable changes to his behavior encouraging him to stay clean. After playing a few CDL matches off the substance, he regained his confidence and celebrated the positive changes with his team at the time, Dallas Empire. Kicked off Empire, benched in LA His 180-turn off the drug had very noticeable changes in his demeanor. People started to notice his manner change, his habits change, and rumors started to spread. “I started getting called out on a lot of things,” Huke said. “I understood that, and I took that. I was like, okay, maybe I am being too positive… and I started to believe a lot of the things I was being told by my teammates and the environment. And it really got to my head.” Though he kicked a bad habit, he felt his confidence lower again. He says he was getting slandered during his time in Empire, and it was discouraging at a time when he was starting to enjoy the game again. Eventually he found out from his brother that he was getting benched by the Empire. The situation had unfolded to the point where he felt the Empire didn’t trust him, and felt his voice wasn’t being heard. Team meetings had given him discernable points to improve on, considering his form at the time, and he was ready to make improvements. Empire would later bench Huke. “I found out from my brother, I didn’t even find out from my teammates.” Huke has also delved into his side of the story, as he was benched on Dallas Empire. pic.twitter.com/jcuoc39Tmx — DEXERTO Call of Duty Esports News (@DexertoIntel) June 9, 2021 “This year, maybe I was a bit down during Stage 2, and no one really reached out to me. Actually, no one reached out to me and tried to lift me up,” Huke said. He would later land on the LA Thieves roster. And he described his new team as a revitalization of his love for CoD. But stories had spread that he was using psychedelics. Apparently, people within the LA Thieves team “bought into” narratives that he was having problems, considering his change in mindset. Huke described his demeanor as a positive change, but rumors had painted a different picture of his recovery. Fellow pros and longtime friends would call him “crazy Cuyler,” believing that Huke was troubled with drugs or the like. These rumors started having repercussions on his career, especially since he was benched by the Thieves shortly after he signed. “The toxicity in the pro scene, and the toxicity in the pro scene in general, it can be tough sometimes. “I’m sorry if I’m calling everyone out, but we have to do better,” he said. Huke would later be reinstated in the LA Thieves lineup. Huke says the larger CoD community “has lost sight” of what the dream of being a pro really means, and is calling on the scene to make improvements.

  • Huke reveals how he formed the Dallas Empire roster to win CDL Champs – Dexerto

Huke reveals how he formed the Dallas Empire roster to win CDL Champs YT: Eavesdrop PodcastDallas Empire’s Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland, Call of Duty World Champion and ex-Halo professional, has explained why he was so desperate to team with iLLeY and Shotzzy ahead of Modern Warfare, despite neither player having a proven track record in professional CoD. The inaugural Call of Duty League Season ended back in August, with Dallas Empire running out comfortable winners against Atlanta FaZe. The Texan outfit had regularly impressed across their opening season, combining veterans Clayster and Crimsix with young stars Huke, iLLeY and Shotzzy. While Huke had a precedent in Call of Duty esports – reaching the CWL Championship Grand Finals back in Advanced Warfare with Denial Esports – neither iLLeY or Shotzzy had made a name for themselves at the top level of CoD. Shotzzy joined Dallas Empire from Splyce Black, off the back of winning a Halo World Championship in 2018. iLLeY joined from eUnited Cadets, the academy team of eUnited. The acquisition of both for the CDL’s first season constituted a massive gamble, but it definitely paid off. Joining H3CZ on the Eavesdrop podcast on December 20, Huke explained exactly why he wanted to take the gamble. “This team is basically a team that I picked based off my past experiences,” he said. “In my head it [picking up Shotzzy and iLLeY] was a no-brainer, because that’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted to be on a team where everyone wanted to be there everyday.” In short, the attitudes of iLLeY and Shotzzy and the desire for success were key reasons for their signatures. Huke explained that, in the past, he has felt that his efforts have not been matched by teammates. Timestamp: 11:40 “Going into Modern Warfare… I really wanted people that wanna be there everyday,” he continued. “I don’t care who they are, just show up and buy into the team. I talked to iLLeY… it was like a no brainer. This guy has a next level mindset. I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Huke went on to recount a story of iLLeY’s commitment at CDL Los Angeles, which Dallas would win. Six hours before the start time of their final, iLLeY began to shoot bots to warm up. Six hours later he joined up with the team for their match, having not taken a break from Call of Duty. “The kid wants it, that’s for sure,” Huke summarized. On Shotzzy, Huke explained that his talent for Halo was a key factor in picking him up. “I played against him at like my last Halo tournament and he actually beat me,” Huke said. “But I knew Shotzzy since he was like 14 through one of my teammates… we played 2v2 Halo with him before he was pro, and I was like “no way this guy is that good”… After a while it kinda unfolded that this guy was next level.” The acquisition of both young men did indeed raise eyebrows, but Dallas Empire’s first season and the relative youth of of their roster means they are here to stay. Clayster has since departed, but Huke’s unwavering faith in his teammates is just one of the major reasons they look so dangerous.

  • Huke returns to Envy as Dallas Call of Duty franchise’s third signing – Dexerto

Huke returns to Envy as Dallas Call of Duty franchise’s third signing Dallas CoDThe Call of Duty franchise that is based in Dallas has announced Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland as its third signing for the upcoming 2020 season. With Call of Duty esports transitioning to a franchise-based model starting from the 2020 season, the 12 confirmed organizations that will be part of this new league have begun putting together their rosters and support staff. The Dallas franchise, part of the Envy Gaming esports umbrella, are currently in the middle of announcing their five starting players over the course of five days, and have already confirmed the additions of James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro. Their third signing is none other than Huke, widely regarded as one of the more prolific players in the competitive CoD scene and one who can put in astronomical performances when he’s on his game. But more than anything, I want to prove to myself I can be the best again.”” – @Huke | @CODLeague pic.twitter.com/MkRCOTjlN0 — Dallas Call of Duty (@COD_Dallas) October 16, 2019 Huke has been a recognized figure in the competitive Call of Duty scene for a relatively long time, making his debut with TIC Gaming back in 2014. Due to MLG’s age restrictions for competing, he had to take a two year hiatus between 2015-2017, moving over to Halo esports and earning pro player status in just two months. He returned to CoD in November 2017, signing with Team Envy, and was the only player kept during their massive roster overhaul during the 2018 offseason, when they signed the defending CWL Championship winning roster to join him from Evil Geniuses. However, their Black Ops 4 season ended up being a very up-and-down campaign, and Huke was eventually loaned out to Splyce in June, with whom he competed in the CWL Pro League Playoffs, placing 7-8th, and CoD Champs (13-16th). With Huke now officially announced, Dallas’ roster is already shaping up to be one that could strike fear in a lot of opposing teams come the 2020 CDL season. The franchise has two more announcements on their slate, expected to come on October 17 and 18, and rumors are that they will be for iLLeY, one of the most coveted young prospects, and the legendary Crimsix, who has the most tournament victories in the esport’s history. DALLAS CALL OF DUTY EXPECTED STARTING ROSTER: James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks – Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro – Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland – Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter (rumored) – Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal (rumored) – The organization is also expected to announce their official team name, logo, and branding soon. Leaks from trademark filing applications and the official CDL website’s coding indicate that their name will be Dallas Empire, although CEO Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail has tried to shut down those rumors by claiming the org filed multiple names. • Huke makes LA Thieves an instant CDL championship contender – Dexerto

Huke makes LA Thieves an instant CDL championship contender Activision/LA ThievesIn possibly the biggest transfer in Call of Duty history, LA Thieves have picked up Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland from Dallas Empire and benched Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly. While fans have their own opinions on benching TJHaly, the fact remains that Huke is really a one-of-a-kind talent, as 100 Thieves CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag detailed when talking about the roster move. With LA Thieves recently on an uptick, spearheaded by Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Williams’ switch to an AR role, it definitely seemed absurd to some fans that they’d want to make a change at all, but it looks like it could work out very well. His talent is undeniable, and his stats from this season — especially Stage 1 — speak for themselves. Welcome the Multi-FPS Champion Cuyler “”@Huke The Nuke”” Garland to the Los Angeles Thieves. #LAThieves pic.twitter.com/lf40VJzCmM — LA Thieves (@LAThieves) May 4, 2021 During Reverse Sweep Round 11, Andrew ‘Enigma’ Campion looks at what exactly Huke is bringing to this LA Thieves roster, with him possibly excelling where TJHaly didn’t quite make the cut. Throughout Stage 1, Huke was often considered the best in the game, alongside the likes of Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr and Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris. He recorded a 1.14 and 1.12 KD in Hardpoint and Control, respectively, while his Search was at a quality 1.05. Across the entire season, his Hardpoint has maintained its impressive stats (1.11 KD overall), while his S&D and Control have fallen off — 0.99 and 0.98 respectively. Hardpoint, though, is where LA Thieves’ team KD struggles the most, at 0.97 throughout the season. This bump could be monumental for them, especially with Huke being a more creative, roaming player than TJ, with far more explosive potential. While Huke saw a bit of a downward trajectory throughout Stage 2 and the start of Stage 3, his S1 performances show exactly what is possible for the young star. • Huke benched in surprise Dallas Empire CDL roster change – Dexerto

Huke benched in surprise Dallas Empire CDL roster change Call of Duty LeagueJust one day into Stage 3 in the 2021 Call of Duty League season and Dallas Empire has announced a surprise roster shuffle, moving Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland to the bench with Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson stepping up. Stage 3 has only just kicked off with the London Home Series, and already the Call of Duty League rosters are being shuffled again. This time, it’s Dallas Empire making a change: Huke has been moved to the bench, with FeLo — who only joined the CDL organization as a sub in January this year — set to replace him in the starting lineup from their next game onwards. “The team has felt we are playing below our potential,” head coach Raymond ‘Rambo’ Lussier said. “With FeLo playing so well in Challengers, he’s earned a shot to compete in the starting lineup.” This marks the first time FeLo will start in the Call of Duty League. “Wish them the best,” Huke tweeted shortly after the news broke. “Another challenge for me and I’m here for it.” Huke has been with Empire since the very beginning, helping the team claim the inaugural CDL championship in 2020. The Dallas-based lineup currently sits in second place among the overall standings, though they’ve yet to secure a Major victory this season. Wish them the best, another challenge for me and im here for it. — Surge Huke (@Huke) April 23, 2021 In Stage 1, they finished in second place, losing 5-2 to Atlanta FaZe. A month later in Stage 2, Dallas finished in third place after being knocked out by the eventual winners, Toronto Ultra. While the results certainly haven’t been bad, the team still believes there’s room to improve. Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt recently argued that Empire has “regressed” in 2021. With some new blood in the lineup, maybe now they have a chance at closing out a first-place finish. “Appreciate all the love,” FeLo followed up on Twitter. “I have a lot to prove and an amazing group of people around me to do it with. Time to get to work.” Coming off a recent stint with NA Challengers team ‘EastR,’ FeLo helped lead the charge to a first-place finish in Stage 2 of the Elite season. Many have already begun questioning the move online, with Joe ‘MerK’ DeLuca even wondering if the shuffle had to do with something outside of the game. Empire has just two full days to properly merge FeLo into the starting lineup. Their next series pits them against Ultra in what’s sure to be a heated rematch after the Stage 2 Major. Keep on top of all the action right here, and be sure to brush up on all the latest roster shuffles before the next matches get underway. • Huge Warzone 2 leak reveals four Modern Warfare 2 maps are coming as POIs – Dexerto

Huge Warzone 2 leak reveals four Modern Warfare 2 maps are coming as POIs ActivisionDetails for Warzone 2 are becoming slightly more frequent, and industry insider Tom Henderson has now been able to disclose that four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps will reportedly be making their way to Warzone 2 when the game releases. There’s been some interesting news recently on the Warzone 2 front after some leaks suggested that not only will there be big changes to loadout drops, armor, and more, but that the map itself will have more in common with Black Ops 4’s Blackout map. These changes would be quite substantial on their own, but it doesn’t stop there. Reputable leaker Tom Henderson has now said that the Modern Warfare 2 influence will be all over Warzone 2 as “old maps will be returning to not only the core title but to the Warzone 2 map itself.” Modern Warfare 2 maps to feature in Warzone 2 map Henderson is known in the industry for having a variety of video game sources and the information he dishes out is generally very accurate. In his most recent CoD story, he claims that the aforementioned MW2 maps coming to Warzone 2 ” have been added and expanded upon.” He says that the maps will be part of POIs, that have not been decided upon yet, within the Warzone 2 map and has outed the four confirmed maps so far with information on each one. Highrise: It will be found under a POI named “Modern City” that will have a very Downtown feel in Verdansk – Quarry: The classic map will be in a POI of the same name – Terminal: Warzone 2 is also borrowing a Verdansk feature as Terminal will be in a returning “Airport” POI – Afghan: The Afghan map will be found in “Caves” towards the middle of the map – Henderson also added that this may not be the end of the Modern Warfare 2 throwbacks either: “There are also several other POI locations that could include more Modern Warfare 2 maps too, including “Mountain Town” which is located next to the Observatory in the middle of the map, which could include Favela.” This is all very exciting news for CoD fans, MW2 fans, and of course, Warzone players. However, we obviously need to stress that where leaks are concerned, everything shouldn’t be taken as gospel as things may not be completely accurate or could be subject to change. Stay tuned, and let’s see if the report turns out to be true.

  • Huge Verdansk bunker discovered in Warzone Season 1 secret map change – Dexerto

Huge Verdansk bunker discovered in Warzone Season 1 secret map change Infinity Ward/ActivisionWarzone players have discovered a huge new bunker underneath the Verdansk Airfield and it may become a heavily contested landing spot as the season progresses. Warzone’s integration with Black Ops Cold War has added a range of new content for players to get stuck into. From the introduction of Cold War’s weapons to the brand new Rebirth Island map, it’s fair to say Season 1 has delivered on expectations so far. As a new map was suspected to release, it was assumed by most Call of Duty fans that Verdansk would be left unchanged by Season 1. So when players discovered a massive new bunker under the map’s airfield, it was an unexpected surprise. Secret bunker discovered in Warzone Warzone players have found a huge bunker hidden underneath the Verdansk airfield. The underground area was added with the Season 1 update and provides players with a new landing spot to collect loot. Read More: Exploit turns Warzone players invisible – The entrance to the bunker is located on the runway of the airfield and has been seemingly opened by a massive explosion. Players who enter the hole will find a huge area made up of multiple rooms and corridors. There appears to be a good distribution of loot throughout the location and plenty of resources to get a squad geared up at the start of a match. A thread posted to the Warzone Subreddit shows exactly what you can expect to find in the bunker and how the area is laid out. There’s no doubt this has the potential to become Verdansk’s next hotspot for solo-players and squads alike. As with any new area, players will be flooding to check it out, so maybe give it a miss if you’re not a fan of Superstore style starts to a match. The addition of the bunker does beg the question, what other changes are planned for the Verdansk map? Fingers crossed we receive more secret areas over the course of Season 1 and maybe a few hidden easter eggs as well.

  • Huge Modern Warfare leak reveals new maps, modes, battle royale, zombies – Dexerto

Huge Modern Warfare leak reveals new maps, modes, battle royale, zombies A leaker has revealed a list of maps, modes and upcoming changes that are potentially set to make their way to Modern Warfare in an upcoming update — providing a much-needed change of pace following community feedback. Infinity Ward have found themselves with a lengthy list of snags that need to be addressed before the Call of Duty League gets underway in January. Being just over one week old, Modern Warfare has been subject to both praise and criticism alike. Based on the community appraisal, Infinity Ward have been keen to listen and make changes, with the most notable improvement coming in the way of a Dead Silence modification. According to another reputable leaker, Infinity Ward are set to give Modern Warfare an overhaul — one which will take the mini-map back to its roots. Leaked multiplayer maps Infinity Ward have revamped their approach to map dynamics; taking away from the conventional lane-based system at the core of most maps by incorporating features that cater for all play-styles. Given that Modern Warfare has moved away from its cornerstone 6-vs-6 experience to implementing 10-vs-10 on the same maps, the maps have had to accommodate accordingly. However, according to leaks from the code within the update that went live on November, Senescallo claims that a host of new (and old) maps are on their way (full list of maps at foot of article) — seeing the return of fan-favorites, such as Rust and Shipment. :rotating_light: The latest update has added 38 maps to the files. According to the leaker, Capture the Flag is poised to make a return to the franchise — a flagship game mode in CoD esports. Moreover, hints towards a battle royale mode have been found deep within the files. The leaker also found the logo for Kill Confirmed in the same game file, which was added to the game officially soon after on November 2. So doing a little something something with the new Modern Warfare’s files, I know, old habits die hard, found stuff for an Arena mode, Kill confirmed mode, and CTF mode so far :). pic.twitter.com/cgqhXrIjFN — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) November 2, 2019 BR stuff, wow this is pretty cool, feels like when I first started doing this for Apex and everything amazed me 😀 pic.twitter.com/kM8XSt2D4W — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) November 2, 2019 Zombies potentially set to return Initially introduced by Treyarch, Call of Duty’s ‘Zombies’ mode is now a staple to the first-person shooter series. Fans of the fight against the living dead now have rekindled hope, after “PRESENCE_MP/ZOMBIES” has been spotted within the game files. Appearing as ‘Infected’ in past iterations, Infinity Ward look set to implement the fun game mode into Modern Warfare, which will likely play-off the lore within Campaign mode. Interesting here, I do see zombies there after all 🙂 pic.twitter.com/w43i80JF7M — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) November 2, 2019 Although these ‘leaks’ are yet to be officially confirmed, Kill Confirmed was the first game mode to slip through the cracks before going live within the update. • Huge Modern Warfare 3 aiming change will make you way more accurate – Dexerto

Huge Modern Warfare 3 aiming change will make you way more accurate Sledgehammer GamesModern Warfare Season 2 Reloaded has come and the update brings with it some massive quality-of-life improvements and balance changes to the game. One of the more impactful changes targets the aim down sights animation. The second season of content has hit MW3 and Warzone with Season 2 Reloaded. The massive update brings in new maps like Das Haus and new weapons like the Soulrender melee, along with more in-game cosmetics. One of the biggest changes that players may find in the game is the animation for when they are aiming down their sights with a weapon. This change is yet another way the developers have been improving the quality of the game for mouse and keyboard and console players that take long-ranged fights. MW3 aim change should make players more accurate According to the patch notes, when players aim down sights after the update their crosshair will now go straight to the center of their screen. Previously, the reticle would ease into the center of the player’s screen. This would often disrupt people scoping in, causing their shots to be less accurate. Now the crosshair should snap right into the center of the screen without delay. This should help players who like to take on enemies at medium to long ranges, and also help sniper rifle users who need to be as accurate as possible. Activision seems intent on improving the quality of player’s experience with the game, on top of balance changes. The developer also added filters for weapon attachments and fixed numerous bugs that have been plaguing the community.

  • Huge Activision hack leaks possible Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 2023 content roadmaps – Dexerto

Huge Activision hack leaks possible Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 2023 content roadmaps ActivisionA hack seemingly impacting Activision at the tail end of 2022 may have leaked possible Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 content roadmaps for 2023. Season 2 of both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 is well underway, and we now may have a look into what the next few seasons will hold due to an alleged hack into Activision. According to vx-underground, a website that compiles malware code and leaked documents, on December 4, 2022, Activision was allegedly hacked by threat actors who managed to phish access to their network through a privileged user. They downloaded sensitive documents and schedules for content to be released dating to November 17, 2023. They allege Activision did not report the hack to anyone. In their Tweet, vx-underground showed two screenshots of content roadmaps for what seems to be upcoming seasonal updates for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Revealing supposed plans for when Seasons 3, 4, and 6 will be announced and integrated into the game, with no signs of what Season 5 entails. For Season 3, it shows Activision might be releasing two new Operators, three new weapons, three core maps, one battle map, four Gunfights maps, one Spec Ops mission, a raid, and a battle pass. The next few Seasons have mostly the same type of updates, albeit with differences in the number of maps. Although it is written in Season 6, allegedly to be released sometime in September, there might be an event that will go along with it called “Haunting of Saba”, perhaps this year’s Halloween-themed celebration. According to the leak, information regarding Season 3 should start coming out by March 8 and be integrated into the games on April 5, ending on May 16 which is when Season 4 appears to start. Though this claim is already disputed by the current Battle Pass ending on April 11. In the leaked roadmaps, there was also something under the codename “Jupiter,” though exactly what this is remains a mystery. It could be something entirely new, or it could be a codename for 2023’s premium Call of Duty release, we’ll just have to wait and see. As usual, it’s worth taking this information with a big grain of salt as the validity of the hack itself has come into question, let alone the roadmaps shown within.

  • How Zaptius could turn London Royal Ravens’ CDL woes around – Dexerto

How Zaptius could turn London Royal Ravens’ CDL woes around Activision/London Royal RavensFollowing the Stage 2 Major, the London Royal Ravens made yet another roster change by bringing in Alex ‘Zaptius’ Bonilla to replace the benched Thomas ‘Dylan’ Henderson. London’s merry-go-round roster isn’t entirely their own fault: visa issues and family emergencies have certainly blighted their chances of keeping a consistent team all season. That said, they’re sat dead last in the standings with a 2-10 record, and something had to change if they want to reach the playoff spots at the end of the season. So, in steps Zaptius, replacing a player that many Brits grew to love thanks to his cracked-out playstyle during the Black Ops 4 season. As Andrew ‘Enigma’ Campion points out during Reverse Sweep Round 11, Dylan was inarguably the worst-performing player on London when it comes to pure slaying. Then, there’s one key mode in which London needs the most help, and Zaptius could help out with: Search and Destroy. Zaptius had the third most bomb plants and fourth highest amount of hill time in the most recent North American Challengers Elite Series, leading his team in objective play and allowing them to slay out around him. This is in stark contrast to Dylan, who has always been a very fast player, leading to pacing issues in the London camp during the Cold War season. Dylan had a 0.93 KD and 0.9 KD in Hardpoint and Control, respectively, in the bottom half of CDL SMGs, but it’s S&D where he really struggled. In the mode, he had a 0.73, making him the worst player in the league in that regard. Zaptius’ objective play in Search could be all the difference for London, who are currently 4-12 in the mode this season. Whether Zaptius really is the key to making London a competitive CDL side again remains to be seen, but just looking at the stats, this could be a great move.

How the New ‘Recon Car’ Special Item Will Work in CoD: Black Ops 4 ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale Mode There will be several Special Items in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s highly anticipated ‘Blackout’ battle royale mode, including the brand new ‘Recon Car.’ In terms of its appearance, the Recon Car looks very similar to the classic RC-XD from past Call of Duty Multiplayers. It is essentially a four-wheeled device that can be remotely controlled from a certain distance. However, in contrast to the RC-XD, this device cannot be detonated. In fact, the Recon Car’s sole and main purpose will be to act as “portable intelligence,” allowing players to scope out locations of enemies. In their newest trailer for the Blackout Private Beta, Treyarch gave fans a glimpse of the Recon Car in action. According to the ‘Blackout Field Manual‘ provided by Treyarch, all of the characters will be able to use the Recon Car, but it must first be found on the map. This can end up proving difficult depending on how rare the developers have chosen to make this item. Once found and activated, it can “travel a limited distance while maintaining visibility,” although the specifics of how far and for how long it can be used remains to be seen. It will be worth keeping an eye to see how effective the Recon Car will be in-game, as it would likely be a lot more useful indoors and in tighter quarters rather than out in the open world. Players can try out the Blackout mode early as the Private Beta goes live on the Playstation 4 on September 10, and on the Xbox One and PC on September 14, with it ending for all platforms on September 17.
