It’s also worth noting that you can complete five across any of the three — this could be one Warzone challenge, two in Zombies, and two in Multiplayer, or all five in Zombies if you so wish. To make things easier, when you check through the challenges in-game, you can select to track them, meaning you can check on their progress in-game. As the penultimate week of Season 2, once you’ve done this, you’ll also be one step closer to unlocking the Rotten Inferno camo.

However, they haven’t been as common in newer entities, likely because soldiers aren’t exactly dual-wielding shotguns in the real world. These are described as providing a “mobile artillery barrage” where “destruction is maximized” at the cost of accuracy and recoil control. One of the major changes this week sees some of Warzone’s long-range weaponry receive balance changes, with the Kar98 receiving a buff to its minimum damage range, while the ultra-powerful SP-R 208 has had its damage range reduced in an attempt to make it slightly less lethal. In terms of new weapons though, it was close combat that received some love this week, with the reincarnation of the AA-12 shotgun from previous Call of Duty titles making a welcome return in the form of the JAK-12. The weapon is locked when you first start up your game after the patch, but we’ve got everything you need to unlock it and make it part of your armory. The JAK-12 is actually fairly easy to unlock, so you won’t have to spend hours and hours grinding to finally get it. The fully-automatic bolt shotgun certainly packs a punch, so will be useful for close-contact encounters, especially on small multiplayer maps like Shipment or Rust, or inside buildings on Warzone. To unlock the JAK-12, you simply need to get three hipfire kills using a shotgun in seven different matches. The good news is that there is no specific shotgun you are required to use to do so, and you don’t even have to do it in simultaneous matches, just get the three in any multiplayer match and it will be added to your tally. You can use any of your favorite shotguns, but we would suggest the R9-0 or Origin 12 as they pack a good punch, something you need when you’re not aiming down sights to find kills. Playing on smaller maps will be useful too, and modes like Hardpoint and Domination where players swarm to locations could be an easy way to pick up the kills you need without running around the map hoping to find someone. You also don’t need to be any specific level to unlock the JAK-12, so anyone can hop into the game and get their kills to unlock the gun. The weapon is already proving to be immensely powerful, with players reporting that some attachments can create a loadout which gives the JAK-12 incredible range. The name ISO should do enough to send a shiver down the spines of MW2 veterans. The new SMG shares a weapon platform with the infamous ISO 45 and ISO Hemlock, which both dominated Warzone’s meta at different stages. It remains to be seen if the ISO 9mm will reach those same highs, but Activision explained: “This weapon favors speed over long-range lethality, so do what it takes to get up close and on target fast.” Players can equip a 50-round drum and pair it with a laser to spray and pray multiple enemies at once. Or if the iron sights are checking every box, a sight improves ADS speed and accuracy. The devs added that users have plenty of options at their disposal as long as they keep combat close. The HRM-9 isn’t the only new gun in the Season 1 Reloaded update, as the TAQ Evolvere LMG is also added to the game.

Here’s how you can get your hands on the ‘Hazardous’ Krig blueprint. Season 1 of Warzone has finally arrived and players are dropping into the new Rebirth Island map as we speak. Luckily for us, Treyarch has added a few incentives to take part in the action and jump into the new map. Players can unlock rewards through completing in-game challenges exclusive to Rebirth Island. Infinity Ward have taken weapon customization to the next level already for Modern Warfare, with a total of 103 camos available to unlock through gameplay for every single weapon. Each weapon has ten camo ‘categories’, which each have a further ten variants inside, all of which are earned through leveling up the weapon and completing challenges like kills and headshots. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare camo categories The ten weapon categories, earned by ranking up the weapon’s level, are as follows: Spray Paint – Woodland – Digital – Urban – Splinter – Topo – Tiger – Stripes – Reptile – Skulls – Once each category is unlocked, and you have then completed each challenge within for the ten variants, you will have a total of 100 camos, but there are still three more to earned. How to unlock Gold camo Like previous games, gold camo is earned by earning all other camos for a weapon, in this case 100, essentially mastering that weapon fully. While players can always be sure that Gold and Diamond skins will appear in a Call of Duty game, it wasn’t until the new title released on Friday, October 12 that it became certain that a Dark Matter skin had been included. These infamous skins are not available in the game from the beginning, but require the player to grind and work their way through the weapon’s various challenges to finally unlock these camos. The brand new Gold camo for this years game is a slightly darker version of the skin compared to the one found in World War II. To unlock the Gold camo, players need to unlock every other camo available for the weapon by completing the gun’s specific challenges. Diamond camos become available when players unlock the gold skin for every weapon in it’s specific weapon category. During a recent game update, Treyarch revealed in the patch notes that the mastery camos are soon to be rolled out within Blackout. However, players who have already unlocked the extremely difficult to reach weapon skins – such as Dark Matter – in Multiplayer, will not get their progression rolled over. In Multiplayer, Gold camo is unlocked by unlocking every other camo available for the weapon by completing the gun’s specific challenges. Diamond camo is unlocked by unlocking the gold skin for every weapon in its specific weapon category. The recent patch note led to confusion for some fans who questioned Treyarch – via Reddit – on just how the upcoming system is going work. In a reply to a post on the Black Ops 4 subreddit, Treyarch said: “The weapon camo progression design for Blackout is a different system with its own challenges compared to Multiplayer, and Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter unlocked in Multiplayer will not be automatically unlocked in Blackout. “There will be different camos to unlock in Blackout on the path to Mastery Camos through a wholly new mechanic.” So, Treyarch have switched it up on us and the usual challenge progress path has been changed. Players will collect Paint Cans throughout the map in each match, and bank them to unlock the hard to reach weapon camos. These Paint Cans are a new resource in the world of Blackout, and players will keep what they find, even if they die and lose the game. Modern Warfare 3’s Season 3 saw four new weapons enter the fold — the MORS sniper rifle, the BAL-27 assault rifle, the Gladiator melee, and the FJX Horus SMG. The FJX Horus is a machine pistol SMG, boasting best-in-class close-quarters damage and mobility that looks familiar to the MAC-10 from previous entries. When it joined in Season 3, players had to reach Sector 8 of Season 3’s Battle Pass. However, now that the season is over, the unlock for it is easier than ever. Players simply have to activate the Armory Unlock and complete five Daily Challenges. These challenges can be done via any mode, and once unlocked, the FJX Horus will be usable across all of CoD’s modes. The gun has 18 levels of progression and is described as follows: “Boasting fantastic mobility and handling along with a lightning quick reload speed, the FJX Horus is ideal for rapid, close-ranged engagements. How to unlock FiNN LMG in Modern Warfare & Warzone Season 5 Infinity WardA mid-season update to both Modern Warfare and Warzone has introduced a brand-new LMG to the weapon pool. The “agile” FiNN LMG is available now and here’s how you can get your hands on it. While much of the focus of the Season 5 Reloaded patch was focused on new modes and Games of Summer trials, a new weapon was also introduced. The August 24 update brought with it a beastly LMG to use across the BR experience alongside standard multiplayer modes. Billed as an “agile, mobile, and hostile” weapon in its class, the gun aims to blur the lines between ARs and LMGs, according to the developers. It packs a punch while still keeping your movement speed intact. If you’re eager to get your hands on the new weapon, it’s available for you as soon as your update has installed. There are two distinct ways to add it to your arsenal, however. Here’s an overview of how you can pick up the FiNN LMG in your next session. How to get the FiNN LMG in the Season 5 Reloaded update In order to acquire the new weapon, players have two options with the new update. The first choice is simple, but it’ll cost you. The FiNN LMG can be picked up through a new ‘Mainframe’ cosmetic bundle as it goes live in the digital store. This will give you instant access but it’ll run you a set amount of CoD points. Alternatively, you can earn the weapon without having to pay a dime. And as it stands, the challenge you need to complete for the LMG is actually quick and easy. All you’ll need to do is create a custom LMG class and quickly hop into any casual multiplayer playlist. The objective asks you to find a single melee kill in seven different matches while using an LMG. It can be any of the weapons in the class, and you can speed up the process in a big way. Rather than playing out a full match and only tallying a single melee kill for your troubles, you can quickly leave each lobby. As soon as you load in, find your melee kill and dash back out to the main menu. You should be able to blitz through seven games in just a matter of minutes with this method. The FiNN comes with a great deal of accuracy at a cost to range and fire rate. This is all to balance the most important feature of the new gun. The fact that movement speed is more so in line with that of an AR, than compared to your speed when using an LMG. You can grab this weapon for yourself the next time that you hop into Modern Warfare. Expect to see it in nearly every Warzone match over the next few days as well. Players will be looking to test out the latest firearm as per usual.

How to unlock Fennec & CR-56 Amax in Modern Warfare Season 4 Infinity WardTwo new weapons have been added in Modern Warfare Season 4, the Fennec and the CR-56 Amax, and we’ve got everything there is to know about them, from how they work, to images, and of course how to unlock them. The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise has certainly delivered, at least on the content front. Fans have already been treated to three huge season updates, and now the fourth has finally arrived, after a short delay, on June 10. Among the new Season 4 content — which includes new Warzone in-game events, the return of Scrapyard, and more — were two new guns: a remastered Vector SMG from Ghosts, called the Fennec, and the CR-56 Amax assault rifle. Just as Activision promised at the beginning of the Modern Warfare cycle, and delivered on in the last few seasons, both these new weapons are available to all players for free simply by leveling up this season’s new Battle Pass. Players who don’t want to grind can also instantly obtain one or both of these guns by purchasing their way up the Battle Pass to each gun’s specific Tier. Fennec As mentioned earlier, the Fennec is a like-for-like rework of the popular Vector SMG from Call of Duty: Ghosts. In Modern Warfare, it’s described as an “aggressive full-auto submachine gun,” designed for “strategic room clearing.” The short-ranged weapon is billed as having “buttery smooth recoil” and a “blazing fast rate of fire”. That means the Fennec could be the go-to SMG for players looking to storm rooms and strongholds in Modern Warfare Season 4. As for how to unlock the brand-new submachine gun, it should be fairly easy. Players simply have to grind to Tier 15 of the Season 4 battle pass to unlock this remastered weapon. It is also on the free track, meaning you don’t have to purchase the premium pass. CR-56 Amax The new CR-56 Amax assault rifle is the other Season 4 weapon players can get their hands on in Modern Warfare now. The Amax will be a more long-ranged option than the Fennec. It will likely pack a bigger punch at medium distances too. Infinity Ward’s official description for the gun describes it as a “lightweight 7×62 x 39mm full-auto assault rifle”. It is allegedly both “compact” and “powerful”. According to the devs, it will be “deadly” at medium-range combat, and relatively versatile to boot. The CR-56 assault rifle will take a bit more grinding to unlock than the Fennec too, which is fitting considering its power: you’ll have to level the Season 4 battle pass up to Tier 31 before you can get your hands on this deadly gun. Faster ways of unlocking the new Season 4 guns While grinding the game and leveling up the Battle Pass is one way of unlocking the new Season 4 guns, there are alternative methods, albeit not free. One way is to buy the Battle Pass Bundle. That would instantly unlock the first 20 Tiers, and, with it, the Fennec SMG. You can then purchase the next 16 Tiers to the second Season 4 gun at $1.50 each. That will unlock you the CR-56 Amax assault rifle too. There is also, of course, the option to just purchase the whole Battle Pass outright. That would cost around $150 USD, but would unlock all of the Tiers and rewards at once. Leaving the match early will cause the progress you made on the challenge to not count and while that’s certainly annoying, it’s definitely worth mentioning, as it will end up saving you time. It should also go without saying but the challenge cannot be completed within the game’s Zombies mode, so don’t think that you can just run into 15 different Zombies games and complete it that way. Nevertheless, getting 15 different three killstreaks shouldn’t be that hard, especially for those who are melee experts. NIKOLAI: The item for this mission is the Flying Helmet, which can be found in the graveyard by Asylum or the Blightfather event. This objective requires you to, “kill an enemy disoriented or blinded by your Stun Grenade or Flashbang in 15 different completed matches,” all while using a melee weapon. How to unlock Black Ops ‘Icons’ characters in Blackout – Reznov, Mason, Woods, and Menendez In addition to the host of other changes that came with the November 13 Black Ops 4 update, Blackout players now have new character missions to tackle. Character missions task players with exploring Blackout’s map in search of special items that will eventually unlock exclusive character skins for the game mode. The challenges for the Multiplayer Specialist were included with the game’s release, while the Zombies characters from both the Voyage of Despair and IX maps were included in the November 6 update. The newest characters to unlock for Blackout are various ‘Icons’ who have played a major role in the Call of Duty franchise over the years. All the requirements to unlock each of these four special characters can be found below. Reznov The road to unlocking Reznov begins with a trip to the Estates to locate the Russian’s trademark hat, called the “Ushanka Hat” in-game. Once you pick up the hat, you must kill an enemy at “extreme range.” While no specific range was given in the challenge, many players have discovered that anything over 200 meters seems to do the trick. After securing your kill, you must finish the match with the hat in your inventory while finishing in the Top 5 for Solos, Top 3 for Duos, and Top 2 for Quads. Mason To start this challenge, you’ll need to first make your way to a Supply Drop in search for the “Stained White T-Shirt” item. The next part starts off as a bit of a mystery as players are asked to “Wake the Sleeper Agent.” You’ll have to head to Array and activate the Emergency Broadcast button located in the Radio Tower to complete this portion of the challenge. After waking the Sleeper Agent, you’ve got to hold onto the Stained White T-Shirt and then finish in the Top 3 for Solos, Top 2 for Duos, and secure a win in Quads to unlock the character. Woods Woods’ character mission involves a bit of nostalgia as players will need to find the “Woods’ Bandana” item that’s located in the original Black Ops helicopter spawn to the north of the Firing Range. Once you have the bandana, you’ll need to hop inside the helicopter and fly in it for at least 30 seconds to a minute to complete the second portion of the challenge. After that’s complete, you have to win your match with the bandana in your inventory and Woods’ challenge will be complete. Menendez To unlock the main antagonist from Black Ops 2, you must first head to a Supply Drop to find the “Locket” item. With the locket in tow, you’ll then need to kill an enemy with both a shotgun and a melee attack, which could prove to be a bit tough. As with the Bruno challenge, we recommend finding the Brawler perk for the melee portion of this one. At that point, you’ll simply need to finish the match with no specific placing while the locket is in your inventory and the final ‘Icons’ character will be yours. These prizes come in the form of the ‘Mutual Animosity’ SMG blueprint for Black Ops Cold War and a CoD: Mobile iteration of Russell Adler, a CIA Agent that will star in the upcoming title’s campaign. How to unlock Mutual Animosity SMG Blueprint The bonus content most players will be interested to collect in the Black Ops Cold War beta will be the decked-out SMG blueprint called Mutual Animosity, which is for the Type 821 SMG and it includes a pre-installed scope, muzzle, extended mag, underbarrel, and paint job. To add the Mutual Animosity to your collection as soon as the game releases, all you have to do is hit level 10 during the Beta. How to unlock Black Ops 4 Zombies characters in Blackout Black Ops 4 Zombies fans might have a reason to dive into Blackout now that the characters have been released for the game’s battle royale mode. Simply going for wins in Blackout isn’t all that players can do as Treyarch have included challenge sets that unlock special characters to use in the mode. The Specialists from the Multiplayer mode were the first to be included, but now the Zombies characters have been added to the mix with the massive November 6 update, giving players even more to unlock. Unlike the Specialists challenges, none of these require that players finish the game in a certain placing, which gives the impression that they could be easier. All of these challenges deal with zombies and the brand-new Blightfather boss found in the Graveyard portion of the map, though, meaning that players have to risk being killed by both the zombies or enemy players to acquire the necessary items. ScarlettUnlocking Scarlett requires finding the Racing Goggles & Scarf item by killing and looting a zombie or the Blightfather in the Graveyard. DiegoAcquiring Diego is probably the easiest of all these character challenges as it involves a simple act that most players do every match. You must first find the Comic Book item by killing a zombie or the Blightfather and looting their body. Once you have the item in hand, you have to secure a kill or down with a headshot. Then you simply need to finish the match with the Comic book in your inventory and Diego is yours. ShawThis is where the challenges start to get a bit tougher as Shaw is one of the hardest in the game to obtain. For this challenge, not only do you need the Alchemy Set item that drops from zombies and the Blightfather, but you must pick up Wraith Fire or Acid Bomb pieces of equipment that can also be found by looting the Blightfather. Once you have all that, you have to kill two enemies with Wraith Fire or Acid Bomb and then finish the match with the Alchemy Set in your inventory and Shaw will be unlocked at last. BrunoUnlocking the French gangster Bruno will, of course, require players to really get their hands dirty. After picking up the Mug Shot poster item from either a supply drop or the Blightfather, you must kill someone with a melee attack (Clean Up kills do not count!) and then finish the game with the poster in your inventory to unlock the character. For this one, we recommend finding the Brawler perk since that will be essential to somehow picking up a melee kill outside of the early game when no one has weapons. The SMG class has some powerful options already, but the BAS-P could easily challenge the early Warzone 2 and MW2 meta. Here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock the BAS-P in Warzone 1 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 1. How to unlock the BAS-P on Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 The BAS-P is unlocked by completing Sector A6 in the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Battle Pass, acting as the High Value Target (HVT) of that section. Both games are now making use of the ‘Combat Map’ Battle Pass, meaning that rewards are no longer earned simply by reaching a specific level. Luckily, this is one of the free Sectors of the Season 1 Battle Pass, meaning there is no need to spend any money to unlock the new weapon. You will first need to complete at least one of the adjacent areas surrounding Sector A6 – whether it be A3, A5, or A10. Then, you must unlock all four of the lower rewards in Sector A6 using Tier Skips earned from gameplay. One of the most recent ones is the The Walking Dead collab which has seen iconic characters like Rick Grimes arrive in Call of Duty, but there are also some TWD-themed camos and Operator skins that are in the game too, ready for players to purchase or unlock. This includes the Barbed and Dangerous camo which is available for only a limited time. Unlock Barbed and Dangerous MW3/Warzone camo Getting the Barbed and Dangerous camo in MW3 and Warzone is relatively simple, as it only requires you to play the game and rack up XP. With 10 XP milestones to reach, and rewards for each, this camo is the pinnacle of the Fear the Living event and is available for those who grind the most. The challenges are as follows: Obviously, at nearly 300,000 XP, you will have to be more conscious of completing challenges and playing modes that are XP heavy. For example, playing around the objective in Domination, racking up defend/attack kills, is a surefire way to go on big streaks and level up. As for challenges, completing just the MW3 multiplayer weekly challenges this week will earn you over 40,000 XP. If you also do Zombies and Warzone, you’ll be getting well over 100,000 XP, pushing towards the halfway point to unlock the camo. You’ll have to be quick to unlock Barbed and Dangerous, though, as the event ends on Wednesday, March 6, with the launch of Season 2 Reloaded.

Among all the exciting new Season 6 content — which also includes new operators Farah and Nikolai, and a new-look Armory Royale LTM — were two new weapons; the silent AS VAL assault rifle, and the long-ranged SP-R208 marksman rifle. Just as Activision promised at the beginning of the Modern Warfare cycle, and delivered on in the last few seasons, both these new weapons are available to all players for free simply by leveling up this season’s new Battle Pass. Players who don’t want to grind can also instantly obtain one or both of these guns by purchasing their way up the Battle Pass to each gun’s specific Tier. SP-R208 Marksman Rifle The SP-R208 has been branded by Infinity Ward as the “one of the most accurate weapons in its class”. That makes it a must-unlock right off the bat after the Season 6 update. The marksman rifle boasts “alternate ammo choices,” as well as “bolt assembly changes”. The devs wrote in their Sep. 27 update, “No matter how this weapon is configured, it’s a powerful yet mobile tool for a marksman on the go.” The SP-R208 is the first major gun you will unlock in the Season 6 battle pass. Call of Duty players will simply need to grind to Tier 15 of this season’s rewards to unlock the rifle. It’s on the free track too; all you’ll need is experience. Moreover, there are cheaters that spike on one platform over another throughout the year. Exploitable glitches and the like can be really off putting, making some people rather not enable crossplay. There are plenty of reasons why people would want to disable crossplay, which is why Warzone gives them the choice to opt-out of the feature. There are few solutions when it comes to stick drift outside of buying a new controller, however Sledgehammer is trying to rectify this by putting a gameplay solution in place instead. Here’s everything you need to know about Modern Warfare 3’s settings to combat stick drift. Contents How to find stick drift setting Players will find the stick drift setting under ‘controller’ in the settings menu. At the very bottom of the list there will be a section titled ‘dead one inputs’ which is where the stick drift settings can be accessed. On the right hand part of the screen the game will show a diagram of both the left and right stick as well as both triggers. All four can be tweaked depending on what is needed for the controller. Where to test for stick drift The first option in the deadzone setting is the ‘test stick deadzone’ which is where the game will allow the player to freely move their sticks and see the exact location on the map. Depending on what direction needs help, that map can then translate to what minimum or maximum needs to be changed for that stick. There is not a map for the trigger buttons, however those settings can be found at the very bottom of that same pull down. In Call of Duty: Warzone, sniping is the meta. Verdansk is littered with tall buildings and sniper spots — leaving players on the ground powerless against the wrath of those pesky marksmen. Up until now, Verdansk has been a sniper’s paradise. Whether it’s an AX-50, Dragunov or HDR, you will have likely fallen victim to one of these deadly weapons since the game’s release. However, one savvy player has found the ideal way to take down those rooftop assassins — and the solution is pretty simple. Posting their discovery to the Warzone subreddit, a Redditor showed that all you need is a Heartbeat Sensor and a well-placed Precision Airstrike to do those snipers dirty — taking down two rooftop campers with next to no effort. First, the player uses their Heartbeat sensor from within the building to identify their approximate location. Second, they place the Precision Airstrike marker inside (roughly where the enemies would be) to avoid the laser showing up. Since the airstrike marker doesn’t show up on the rooftop, the player’s foes were caught off-guard as they had no prior indication that a Precision Airstrike would be raining on their parade. Since Heartbeat Sensors are dotted all over Verdansk, players will easily be able to get their hands on one. A Precision Airstrike, however, will set you back $3,500… So make sure you’re being the biggest gold digger on the server, to ensure you have enough in the bank! If you have a genuine preference then you won’t need us to tell you what to pick. However, if you’re struggling, it’ll likely come down to the kind of modes you enjoy and how you play the game. If you’re a player who prefers objective game modes – like Domination, Hardpoint or Kill Confirmed – this could be a good switch to make. For example, Modern Warfare 2’s Chopper Gunner is a 10-kill streak reward, but costs 1250 as a scorestreak. If you’re constantly slaying around the objective, getting assists and earning points for the team, you might end up getting your streaks even quicker when they’re determined by score. How to survive longer in Warzone gas with easy self-revive trick ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have uncovered a neat trick that can help you against taking damage from the gas provided you have a self-revive kit handy. Like every other battle royale on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone players are pushed inwards from the outer reaches of the map by a moving gas zone. Getting caught in the gas, like other games, can prove pretty fatal – if you haven’t got a gas mask handy, that is. Standing in the gas obviously won’t lead an instant death, but it can severely hamper your chances of getting a win – say if someone is guarding the edge of the zone and decides to shoot a few bullets at you while you have low health. However, players have uncovered a pretty clever trick that allows them to slow down the damage taken via the gas. The trick was posted to Reddit by user Unknow_Gamer, showing that as soon as you use a self-revive kit while in the gas, your health will not tick down below its previous state. Instead, using the kit will put a temporary pause on the damage – provided that you stay on the ground and don’t actually complete the self-revive. This trick allowed Unknow_Gamer to seemingly bamboozle the enemy players who had been searching for them, as they just laid on the ground and kept pausing damage by using the self-revive kit. Of course, some players might argue that this tactic is actually pretty overpowered and that, similarly to games like Apex Legends and Fortnite, you should take damage while healing or reviving in the gas. Whether or not Infinity Ward intended for the self-revive kit to work in this way is unknown, but if it is some sort of exploit or bug, they’ll probably have to address it at some point in the near future. Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see what they do.

Don’t bolt for treasure There’s nothing more frustrating than watching your ally see a single silver bar and lose a life trying to get it. It’s worth nothing that your score is mostly inconsequential. Yes, you will earn bonus lives through your score, but you’ll accrue them naturally from surviving so long. How will you survive so long? By not running through a pack of zombies trying to earn a nickel. Help your teammates Instead of padding your own score, go and help your teammates in two different ways. If they’re downed, go and fight near their body and their revive time will shorten if they have no lives left. – Don’t try to be Rambo. Stand next to enemies and shoot zombies, more concentrated fire, plus it’s easier to revive each other. – Let lesser teammates have weapons if you’re skilled Yes, yes. Put your ego to one side John McClane, you know you’re talented. Perhaps monitor your teammate’s scores or lives and see who could use a helping hand. If a great weapon drop appears, don’t instinctively go for it. If you’re skilled enough with the base gun, then let someone else, less-skilled, use it to help them. Don’t just keep firing weapon pickups Just because you have it, doesn’t mean you need to flaunt it. If you get the Ray Gun, then use it conservatively, don’t keep firing beams at empty doorways where zombies stopped coming from five years ago. You could just continually fire a special weapon pickup and exhaust its ammo in time at all, but it’s not the wisest of moves. Save bombs and boosts Panic bombing is the worst. Getting surrounded by a few zombies and using a bomb isn’t a good use of resources. Always think, can I use a boost to escape? Plus bombs are great for Zombie totem heads as it will get rid of the huge swarm around them and let you deplete their health quickly. Plus, it’s useful to have this stuff for later on when it gets tough. Don’t get cornered Unless you’re prepared to use a boost or a bomb, then you will die. If too many crowd you and you’re a trapped rat, then it will be your demise. Ignore the first-person pickup Just avoid this at all costs. It doesn’t help and it restricts your field of view. If you accidentally pick it up, drop it straight away. It can help with finding secret areas, but is that enough to counteract all of its downsides? Look for hidden areas Each area seems to have hidden areas and rooms. Look for stone switches to step on as they’ll open up hidden doors for teammates. There are holes to all in that take you to bonus rooms, and there are hidden doorways too that will reward you. And that’s it for our tips! All proceeds made from the DLC will go directly towards what it takes to help veterans transition back into civilian life, according to a blog post by Activision. How to buy the C.O.D.E. Jump Pack If you’re in the United States or United Kingdom then you are able to pick up the pack right in the PlayStation Store. This content comes first to PS4 but will follow on Xbox One and PC. All of the proceeds go directly to nonprofits that place veterans into jobs coming off their service. On top of the Jump Pack, we also get a chance to pick up the “Night Raid” dynamic theme on PS4. This theme is available for $2.99 / £2.50 but those in the United States have an option to donate even more money. Paying extra money will still get you the same theme so keep that in mind when you choose what to donate. Unlike the C.O.D.E. Jump Pack, this theme is a PS4 exclusive so you won’t be seeing this on PC or Xbox One in the future. One of the most valuable things you can find in Warzone is the Gas Mask, which basically grants you immunity to the enclosing circle of suffocating gar around you. This can be extremely helpful if you’re falling behind the circle’s edge or if you spot some useful gear outside of the safe zone and want to grab it real quick. While it’s certainly a useful tool, the item also has its downsides, chief of which is the frustrating animation that takes place when your Operator puts it on and takes it off. While this may not seem like a problem at first glance, the motion automatically starts every time you come into contact with the gas, so if you’re skirting around the edge trying to pick off straggling enemies, your character can be left vulnerable during those sequences. Luckily, players have found a clever way to avoid this issue, and the secret lies with the Heartbeat Sensor. The idea is to pull out the Heartbeat Sensor before you enter the gas and/or exit it; as long as you have the device out and operating, your Operator will not do the Gas Mask animation but still have the benefit of its protection. The Armory has proven frustrating for many MW3 players. To unlock everything by just playing Multiplayer, it’d take a player weeks worth of work. And that’s if you can get daily challenges to work at all. However, there is a workaround for those willing to dip their toes in the Zombies mode and roll the dice. If you get lucky and work quickly, it’s possible to use the Zombies mode to get the bulk of the Armory unlocked without too much hassle. Here’s everything you need to know about how to skip MW3 Armory Unlocks and daily challenges by playing the Zombies mode. How to skip Armory Challenges in MW3 and unlock weapons fast Armory Unlocks have been a clear pain point for the community, with a large portion of the game’s guns, tactical options, lethal options, killstreaks, and more being locked behind a daily challenge grind. While the Zombies exploit isn’t a fix-all for the MW3 Armory Unlock grind, it certainly helps narrow down what you’ll need to grind for. But first, to understand how this exploit works, you need to know a little bit about how the Zombies mode functions. If you’re familiar with MW2’s DMZ mode this’ll sound familiar. In MW3, the Zombies mode has been turned into an extraction shooter where players have to complete challenges, find loot, and extract to hold onto that loot for another run. And, as it turns out, MW3 works the same way but for the entire Armory and any level-gated weapon unlocks. It’s not like you’ll be getting perks in the Zombies mode, so some of these MW3 Armory Unlocks will have to be completed the old-fashioned way with Daily Challenges. This grind really starts to show once you get to the stuff that requires 90 completed challenges, but this method certainly helps with getting the guns you want fast even if you’re still level 1 in Multiplayer. For instance, if you want the MCW 6.8 as pictured above, you can just find it on the field in MW3 zombies, extract with it, and keep it forever. It really is that simple. As long as you extract with something that you don’t yet have unlocked in multiplayer, it’ll be unlocked. What’s more, this exploit appears to work for traditional unlocks that are level-gated outside of the Armory. If you want the Thermite grenade, for instance, but don’t feel like waiting until you get to level 33 in Multiplayer, you can just grab it in MW3 Zombies and extract it to unlock it permanently. Additionally, you can choose to store tacticals and lethals in your inventory even if your main slot is filled, so it’s possible to grab a whole bunch of equipment on the way out. Make sure you hoard as much as you can before you extract. It’s not yet clear if this was intended by the developers, so hop into the Zombies mode and grab as much as you can while it’s still possible to unlock weapons that way, and save your daily challenges for things like Perks and Killstreaks. Luckily, there’s a way to mitigate this problem: two-step authentication. What does two-step authentication do? Like with every other account in existence that uses this feature, two-step authentication gives people another barrier that they have to pass when attempting to sign-in to their account. After you sign-in once, your account will ping some type of third-party service (either a phone number or an app) and request that you authenticate the sign-in. This helps ensure that nobody but yourself can sign-in to your account and is one of the most successful way to stop hackers from stealing your data or, in this case, accessing your CoD stats. How do I set up two-step authentication? Setting up two-factor authentication is easy and will only take a few minutes of your time. The benefits of it are substantial and everyone should do it if they can. Before you do this, it is worth noting that if you set up two-factor authentication, you won’t be able to sign-in to the Call of Duty Companion App. According to Activision, this is a bug that the publisher is working to fix so it hopefully won’t be a problem for two long. The Gulag is a unique way for players to get back into the Warzone match after their first death. In the Gulag, players fight 1v1 matches against other defeated players, with the winner being released back onto the map. When you enter the Gulag you may be forced to wait your turn, but you can watch others fight in the ring and even cause some mischief by throwing rocks at the fighters. You only get one chance, so if you lose you will be stuck waiting for your teammates to find a Buy Station and save you. It’s important to remember that you only go to the Gulag after your first death and that it doesn’t last all game. There isn’t currently a specific cut off point to the Gulag, but it is likely after a certain amount of players are eliminated. This is to ensure that players who die early have another chance, but in late-game scenarios, teams have to pay a hefty price to undo your kill. Of course, respawning is a last-ditch effort to bring you back, and many will be hoping that they aren’t in a situation too often where they’re begging their teammates to spend $4,500 to bring them back. If you get wiped out early and feel confident in your shot though, you can always take your chances in the Gulag, and earn your freedom at the expense of another fallen foe.

Thankfully Activision introduced a rejoin feature to the Call of Duty battle royale for players back in MW2, Season 4, so you’ve got a limited amount of time to jump straight back into a match. So, here’s exactly how you can rejoin a match after disconnecting in Call of Duty Warzone. How to rejoin a Warzone match after disconnecting If you’re disconnected from a Warzone match, you’ll be met with a pop-up menu that asks whether you’d like to try to rejoin the match or quit, simply select the ‘rejoin ongoing match‘ within four minutes of being disconnected and you’ll be reconnected back into the game. Your squad must have at least one teammate remaining in the game for you to be able to rejoin, however, this rule doesn’t apply to Solo players. There must also be at least five squads remaining to enter back into a match successfully. So unfortunately, if a player disconnects in the final stages of a match, there isn’t anything that can be done. For Ranked Play, the mode restricts players from rejoining a match more than once, and players can have their ability to rejoin temporarily limited if they repeatedly disconnect from matches. There are a couple of known issues with the feature including: The last remaining teammate disconnecting may result in an undesirable spectator experience while the final teammate attempts to reconnect. – Rejoining while still in the Driver seat of a vehicle will remove the player’s hands. PC gamers have access to an innovative streaming feature that relies on your network connection. Whereas console players simply have more choice than ever before thanks to a new high-resolution texture pack. Here’s everything you need to know. How to reduce Modern Warfare and Warzone file size on console Once you’ve installed the November 9 update on PlayStation or Xbox, there will be a new option for you as you boot up. This factors in all consoles including current hardware and next-gen. By default, all Operator and weapon textures have been reduced in quality. This was done to cut back the overall size of the game, as rare textures took up a huge amount of space. Even if you never encountered a basic Operator, the game would still have its high-quality texture installed on your console. If storage isn’t an issue for you and you’re looking for the best possible graphics, an optional download is here for you. While the latest update reduced texture quality, a high-resolution DLC pack will be free to download in order to bump up the quality once again. When you first load up the game after the November 9 update, you’ll receive a prompt to download DLC. Upon accepting this prompt, follow the steps to download the high-resolution texture pack. If you ignore this prompt but change your mind later on, don’t worry. You can head to the Game Installs menu to find the texture pack at any point in time. How to reduce Modern Warfare and Warzone file size on PC. For PC players, there’s an entirely new option for you in the latest patch. Texture Streaming is an innovative feature that utilizes your internet connection, rather than files directly installed on your HDD or SDD. With the higher quality textures removed, instead of downloading and installing them back on your PC, you now have an option to stream them instead. To avoid going over your bandwidth cap, or using too much data at once, a limit can be set in the Options menu. If you’d prefer to simply have the files installed on your PC anyways, that’s still an option here as well. Texture Streaming can be turned off completely. Activision outlined more plans for additional texture packs in future. So expect the file size to be trimmed down even further as more become available.

Here’s what you need to do in order to use them in the game. XP tokens have been a hot topic within the CoD community since Black Ops Cold War became integrated with Warzone. At first, legacy tokens from MW were deleted from players accounts once the aforementioned happened, which upset a lot of people in the player base. Then, presumably listening to feedback from everyone who felt cheated, the developers reactivated Modern Warfare’s Double XP tokens but clarified that they could only be used in MW and Warzone. Now, that appears to not be the case, as players are reporting that those tokens can be used in Black Ops Cold War, using a little trick. Here’s how you can pull it off yourself. How to use Modern Warfare tokens in Black Ops Cold War Getting this to work is pretty simple and can even be taken advantage of by people unintentionally if they aren’t paying attention. Of course, this should go without saying, but you’ll need tokens that you specifically earned in Modern Warfare or Warzone (prior to BOCW’s integration). That being said, if you have one available, it’s easy to follow and execute: Open Warzone – Open your Token menu and activate an XP token – Once it’s active, exit out of the Warzone menu and tab over to Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer – The token should still be active in the bottom right-hand corner – One interesting thing to note is that there’s no easy way to tell which game the token originated from. That being said if you notice, for example, that you don’t have any 30 minute tokens in BOCW but do in Warzone, you can deduce that those tokens were indeed earned during the game’s Modern Warfare era. It’s also worth noting that this is more than likely not intended to be the case and Treyarch or Raven Software will probably fix this in the very near future. Losing an account to a troll or a hacker is a tale as old as time in gaming. There have been plenty of scams for different games, and they always end up in tears. In terms of Call of Duty, things have gotten better with the implementation of two-factor authentication, but it’s still pretty common to see a player lose their account for one reason or another. Many victims have complained that once they lose an account, it can be difficult to get it back, and have criticized Activision, Treyarch, and Raven for not really helping them out. However, there are steps you can take. How to get stolen Activision account back Another round of complaints about Activision’s lack of support hit social media and Reddit on April 29, prompting Josh Torres, aka FoxhoundFPS, to step in and give players some guidance. He suggested a few typical solutions; strong, unique passwords and having all players utilize the two-factor authentication available to them to prevent some of the issues. However, if you’ve already lost your account, you have to hit up Activision. The devs have an Account Recovery Request and Support Portal to hit up in order to try and get the account back where you’ll be prompted to make a new account. Go to Activision’s Support Portal, here – Head to Activison’s Account Recovery Request, here – Follow the steps – Log a request to get your account back – Then it’s a waiting game – Plenty of players have had success following the steps and got their account back, but it depends on what’s happened. As the devs note, using two-factor authentication is a big help, and they’ve pushed players to use it to prevent these types of things from happening. So, even if you haven’t lost your account, it’s always good to brush up and make sure everything is as secure as it can be.

How to reach tier 200 in Black Ops 4 Black Market without spending any money There is a new system in place for the ‘Black Market’ in Black Ops 4, using a tiered progression model which you can advance through by simply playing – but it will require some serious dedication. Of course, you can pay for individual tiers, as this is Black Ops 4’s microtransaction system, but it is radically different to the Black Market we saw in Black Ops III, or any other Call of Duty for that matter. The system will work on a cycle of in game events, currently the event is Operation: First Strike. Within this operation there are 200 tiers – but once you reach level 200, another 25 unlock, and then another 25 after that, taking the total to 250. After tier 200 though, all the rewards are ‘Reserves’ (Black Ops 4’s equivalent to supply drops), granting an unknown, randomized item. To reach level 200 with cash only would cost 20,000 CoD points, or $200. But, if you don’t want to spend this money, you can simply unlock the tiers through playing the game. Treyarch hasn’t said exactly how fast the progression through tiers is through gameplay alone, but did roll out an update on October 23 stating: “players will now earn Tier progression both faster and more consistently across all modes of play in Blackout and Multiplayer.” Progressing Faster The speed at which you progress cannot be influenced by any other factor other than time spent in game. So, to move up through the tiers as fast as possible, you will want to survive as long as possible in Blackout, and stick out multiplayer matches to the end, to minimize time spent in menus. Some reports from players suggest that multiplayer is by far the fastest way to progress, although this cannot be confirmed. Twitch streamer shroud, who almost plays Blackout exclusively, has noticed that progression is slower in Blackout, but this is purely anecdotal. Special Orders There are also new ‘Special Orders’, separate to the main Operation tiers. To get access to these Special Orders, you will have to pay CoD points. Currently, there are two Special Orders available, the ‘Bombero’ and ‘Covert’, costing 800CP and 500CP respectively. New Special Orders will rotate in every few days, but once you have purchased one, it will remain available to you so you can complete it.

How to earn quick XP in Modern Warfare 2 There are a number of different ways to rake in the XP when playing Modern Warfare 2. Some are fairly straightforward, but others might force you to change up your playstyle slightly. Either way, using the following methods will get you to level 55 in no time at all. Play the objective We may be starting with an obvious one here, but sticking to the objectives is one of the best ways to level up in Modern Warfare 2. The game deliberately rewards those who play each match properly, so make sure you have a clear idea of what the objective is. In modes like Domination and Headquarters, focus on the points that need to be captured. Securing them will come with a dose of XP, as will defending them or clearing them out. Revive fallen teammates Certain game modes like Knockout and Prisoner Rescue give players the chance to revive dead teammates in the middle of a round and bring them back into the action. Not only that, but it also gives the team a greater chance of victory, which means – you guessed it – even more XP. To revive a fallen ally, simply head over to their body and hold Square/X when prompted. Use Double XP Tokens While you’re playing match after match of Modern Warfare 2, it’s easy to forget that you’re earning Double XP Tokens that can be activated at any time. These useful items do exactly what it says on the tin, usually lasting for around an hour. The catch is that it lasts for an hour of real time, not in-game time, so don’t waste precious minutes sitting in the menus. Our advice would be to join any lobbies and get all your loadouts in order before you pop the Token. This way, you can make the most of the double XP period by cramming in as many games as possible. Make use of Double XP Weekends The devs will occasionally give everybody the chance to rank up quickly by holding Double XP Weekends, where progress is doubled across all modes. Taking full advantage of these is crucial if you want to hit the next Prestige rank as soon as possible. Events like this are usually announced ahead of time, so keep an eye on Infinity Ward and Activision’s socials to find out when the next one is taking place. It’s done by equipping the Suppression Mine Field Upgrade, which emits a wave of sound that slows ememies down and obscures their vision. By throwing one of these onto an enemy tank, it is automatically within range of multiple players, awarding you with boatloads of XP for suppressing each one. The hard part is getting the mine onto a tank, but they can be dropped from the top of buildings to help you stay out of the tank’s view. There’s every chance that this exploit will be patched down the line, but for now, it’s a surefire way to rank up quickly. There you have it!
