FormaL explains how Chicago Huntsmen will build the next CoD dynasty YouTube: CDLWith the dawn of the Call of Duty League, twelve star-studded teams have a chance to stake their claim as the new kings. In Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper’s eyes, however, there’s only one that will claim the crown – the Chicago Huntsmen. FormaL is no stranger to winning. In 2017, he was crowned world champion, and named the tournament’s MVP. Though OpTic Gaming was on the verge of a stunning collapse months later, their leading star was at the top of his game. The 25-year-old’s departure from the Green Wall saw the shock separation of the fabled ‘T2P’ duo, Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and himself. Now, that legendary combo – alongside a cast of other stars – are ready to retake Call of Duty by storm. At least, that’s Formal’s belief as the CDL finally rolls into high gear at the launch weekend in Minnesota on January 24. In his eyes, the Huntsmen have a very real possibility of repeating OpTic’s past glories, especially considering their roster. “The team is so well-rounded, and we have an unreal amount of talent under the banner, so all the pieces are there,” FormaL told CDL media ahead of the season opener. “We have the skill to be the best team in the Call of Duty League, by far.” According to the champ, the lineup Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez has assembled in Chicago is one of the most well-rounded rosters he’d ever played on. Now, if the Huntsmen can reignite the fire of the ‘T2P’ duo, they’ll be unstoppable. “It was kind of crazy, the idea of reuniting me and Scump, and then bringing along the other three,” FormaL admitted. “Me and Seth have won like everything there is to win, and we want to put [the rest of the team] through that process now.” Alongside the re-emergence of one of esports’ deadliest duos, FormaL believes Chicago’s key to success will be channeling the raw hunger from young stars Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman, Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson, and Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon. If they can manage that, Chicago have the chance to rival what FormaL believes to be the greatest dynasty of all – OpTic Gaming. “If you look at dynasties, I think the OpTic Gaming dynasty might be considered the best in Call of Duty, but I think the OpTic dynasty fell apart because of egos, and two of the biggest were definitely myself and Seth” he said. “I’ve been on Huntsmen now for two months, and I think now we have a better grasp on how we should be competitive with each other. Over the next few years we might have a brand new dynasty that’s just formed, and we’re going to see how far we can push ourselves, and see if we can make that happen.” For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 7:59 in the video below. FormaL’s first chance to back up his beliefs come on January 24, when all twelve franchise squads descend on the Minneapolis Armory. The Huntsmen are set to make league history in the season opener against the Dallas Empire. Chicago also get the chance to reunite Scump and FormaL with their old banners later the same weekend, when they face the new-look OpTic Gaming Los Angeles franchise squad. That clash will be held until the event’s final day.

FormaL drops insane 34 kill Blackout match – with a knife – Dexerto
FormaL drops insane 34 kill Blackout match – with a knife Treyarch/MLGProfessional Call of Duty player Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper stunned his viewers with an incredible 34 kill Blackout win, while only using a combat knife. FormaL is one of many professional Call of Duty players whose future is up in the air, as the CoD scene makes the unprecedented transition into a franchised league. The former world champion is spending his off season streaming on Twitch, impressing viewers with his insane FPS skills. While playing Black Ops 4 on September 27 FormaL was, once again, showing off his skills when it comes to Treyarch’s battle royale. He has dropped a number of incredible games previously, including one that baffled Twitch streamer DrDisrespect. FormaL has vocalized his desire to commit to Twitch, particularly when he does not have any Call of Duty tournaments to be practicing for. This seems to be paying off, as he currently sits at upwards of 20,000 subscribers on the streaming platform, and regularly stuns his audience with his talents. 34 kills would be a tall order for a top player with a gun, but the ease with which FormaL achieves it reinforces his reputation as one of the best CoD players ever. THIS MAN @FormaL JUST DROPPED 34 USING A KNIFE…. HOW. DOES. HE. DO. THIS. pic.twitter.com/m7AAMxj4OX — Kevi :four_leaf_clover: (@KeviSkillz) September 27, 2019 The ending was posted to Twitch and amassed a lot of attention, as FormaL simply runs around a building and eliminates a whole team in quick succession. While he makes it look easy, the game knowledge required to pull off such a play – avoiding long distance confrontations, positioning to ambush enemies – cannot be overstated, plus a bit of luck of course. Fans were clearly impressed by the play, with many claiming him to be the best player in the world at Treyarch’s Blackout battle royale. He has been rumored to be returning to a roster alongside Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, as part of the fabled ‘T2P’ duo that was at the center of the OpTic Gaming dynasty roster. While this remains unconfirmed, we are seeing more and more CoD pros announce their destinations. Given his talents and reputation, it’s almost certain we’ll see FormaL leading a roster in next year’s CDL.

FormaL criticizes Call of Duty League schedule for 2020 Season – Dexerto
FormaL criticizes Call of Duty League schedule for 2020 Season Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, main AR for the Chicago Huntsmen, has lashed out at the Call of Duty League’s scheduling, ahead of its inaugural 2020 season for Modern Warfare. The upcoming Call of Duty League Season is arguably the most anticipated of all time. It is the first time that CoD esports has adopted a franchise-based system, with a number of star-studded rosters ready to face off. The schedule for the inaugural Modern Warfare season has been announced, seeing each franchise host two separate weekends of fixtures. It all kicks off in Minnesota on January 24, seeing the ROKKR as the first franchise to defend their home-town. Despite the excitement, some pros have been quick to point out potential issues with the CDL’s initial scheduling. One of these pros is FormaL, whose reunion with Scump sees them form the backbone of an exciting Chicago Huntsmen roster. In a November 15 tweet, Piper said: “Lol international events for one series to be played for some of the teams.” While the CWL has seen international events in the past, they have always been at least a few days long and seen a tournament take place. However, the CDL will see certain teams fly outside of the USA – to London, Toronto or Paris – sometimes for just one ‘best of five’ series. Lol international events for one series to be played for some of the teams, hahahahhaahahhaahahahah — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) November 15, 2019 Trust me I’m truly grateful for the position I’m in, it’s awesome. But at the same time I’m a competitor, and I’d like to compete. — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) November 15, 2019 He then clarified his comments in reply to a fan, who suggested FormaL was complaining about being able to travel across the world to compete in Call of Duty. “Trust me I’m truly grateful for the position I’m in, it’s awesome,” FormaL said. “But at the same time I’m a competitor, and I’d like to compete.” Other prominent members of the Call of Duty scene appeared to agree with Piper. Chicago teammate Arcitys joked that he’d be getting “sick” when it comes to traveling across the world for one series, while OpTic Gaming’s GM, Muddawg, stated that his side “have to fly to Paris to play a singular regular season match vs Atlanta”. we have to fly to paris to play a singular regular season match vs Atlanta lmao — 100T Muddawg (@Muddawg) November 15, 2019 In this case, the problem with the scheduling is clear. OpTic Gaming will have to fly from the west coast of the USA to France, all in order to play one series against Georgia-based Atlanta. FormaL and Muddawg clearly feel this is wasteful of both time and money to simply facilitate one series. Read More: Shroud criticizes Modern Warfare sniping – Many fans and players have suggested that the CDL would have been better off scheduling longer tournaments which would see franchises playing multiple series, rather than just one match. One ‘best of five’ series in past CoD games has typically lasted up to an hour and a half at most, while a flight from Los Angeles to Paris is roughly 11 hours either way. Franchises will, of course, stay for a few days, but many players seem worried about the impact the travel will have on their ability to compete.

FormaL’s clutch blows Dr Disrespect’s mind during $5K Blackout Pro-Am – Dexerto
FormaL’s clutch blows Dr Disrespect’s mind during $5K Blackout Pro-Am Formal, Twitter / Dr Disrespect, TwitchCall of Duty Black Ops 4 pro Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper left Twitch star Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm and his viewers stunned after he pulled off an incredible clutch during the $5,000 Blackout Pro-Am. Former OpTic Gaming content creator Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards brought the biggest and best names of the Call of Duty community together on September 4 with a $5,000 Blackout Pro-Am tournament. One of those prominent figures was Dr Disrespect, who entered the competition looking for ultimate glory, and chose none other than FPS superstar FormaL as his duo during the team draft that preceded the main event. While the impossible has come to be expected from the Luminosity pro, he still managed to shock the Doc and pretty much everyone else with an incredible display of pure skill and marksmanship. Read more: Dr Disrespect fails at Apex spawn portal – With the Two-Time already down and out during the round, it was all up to Piper. Pinned down behind a rock at the bottom of the hill, the CoD pro took one range-finding potshot at the trio firing down at him. With his first victim’s armor gone, he got to work. Working left to right, he fired two bullets and killed two players. The double-kill was enough to make his teammate chirp up. “There you go baby!” the Doc yelled, before FormaL delivered the third headshot with his last bullet. “Ooooh! Oh my … whoa!” The job wasn’t done yet, but as his teammate pushed up the hill to secure the win, the Doc was left in silent awe, as he watch on, completely impressed, as the his teammate clutched up and secured the game-winning elimination. “You’re insane FormaL, oh my god,” the Two-Time said, before stepping away from his computer and laughing. It’s not really a surprise to see FormaL pop off the way he did at the end of that match, considering he’s already established himself as one of the greatest FPS players in history. Read More: Doc rages at Black Ops 4 razor wire – Blackout has been the latest game in his long list of conquered titles, as he’s really focused most of his daily streams on the popular battle royale. Unfortunately, the star-studded duo were unable to get far in the tournament, as they were eliminated in the second round of the Losers Bracket. However, the hat-trick of jaw-dropping snipes to win the earlier match created quite the memory for the Twitch superstar and his pro teammate nonetheless.

FormaL & Clayster call out CDL pros for exploiting minimap bug – Dexerto
FormaL & Clayster call out CDL pros for exploiting minimap bug ActivisionWith the Call of Duty League main season done and dusted, some notable CoD pros have banded together and encouraged Infinity Ward to fix the ‘start glitch’ before CDL Champs kicks off. An exploit which originally surfaced in MW2 has made an unsolicited return to Modern Warfare, mere weeks before the start of the biggest Call of Duty event in the game’s history. Aptly referred to as the ‘start glitch,’ the exploit allows players to briefly locate their enemies’ position on the minimap by opening up the start menu during the killcam players see after dying. With a total of $4.6 million up for grabs at CDL Champs in August, Huntsmen’s FormaL and co. have expressed their concerns with the glitch still being in the game as we approach the first ever online world championships for Call of Duty. Following the Chicago Huntsmen’s early exit during CDL Toronto, the former world champ urged the developers to fix the glitch, given the obvious implications it can have on the CDL Champs. “They need to fix this start glitch (or whatever), I didn’t know it was like that,” FormaL began in his Tweet. “And if you’re a pro and you used it this weekend, you’re just a weirdo and should feel ashamed even though I know you probably don’t… ‘The other team is doing it blah, blah.’” They need to fix this start glitch or whatever I didn’t know it was like that… and if you’re a pro and you used it this weekend you’re just a weirdo and should feel ashamed even though I know you probably don’t. “The other team is doing it blah blah” — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) July 27, 2020 London Royal Ravens’ Flex player, Matthew ‘skrapz’ Marshall, was quick to draw parallels to how long it took Infinity Ward to nerf the MP5, saying: “Matt, it took nine months to nerf the MP5. Chalk it brother, grind out this month do everything you can in your power to try to win Champs.” Matt, it took 9 months to nerf the MP5. Chalk it brother, grind out this month do everything you can in your power to try win champs then we get on the WZ grind 🥂 — skrapz (@skrapzg) July 27, 2020 With that in mind, Subliners’ Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto suggested turning off killcams as a temporary solution before Champs. And while this is far from ideal, it would avoid players being able to unfairly gain an advantage via the exploit. FormaL wasn’t the only one to call for a fix, with Dallas Empire’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks also venting his concerns. Huntsmen’s Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson swiftly replied, suggesting Modern Warfare’s glitch has teams “throwing integrity out of the window,” which is no surprise, considering the amount of cash that is on the line. lol mw got everyone throwing integrity out the window cause we cant trust/know if other teams are doing it back awesome — alec (@Arcitys) July 26, 2020 Of course, there’s still time left for Infinity Ward to push out a hotfix to resolve the issue before Champs begins on August 20. Although, it’s worth noting that the bug is yet to appear on the developer’s Issue Tracker at the time of writing.

FormaL claims FaZe are OpTic Chicago’s toughest competition for CDL 2021 – Dexerto
FormaL claims FaZe are OpTic Chicago’s toughest competition for CDL 2021 Call of Duty League / Instagram, @atl_fazeOpTic Chicago’s Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper has revealed that he thinks the Atlanta FaZe will be the team to beat in the Call of Duty League’s 2021 season, citing how similar the two teams are. [jwplayer br5AuoVJ] A seven-year veteran in professional Call of Duty, FormaL boasts a wealth of expertise and some interesting insights. Excited for Black Ops Cold War and a refreshed CDL roster, back under the OpTic banner, the 2017 World Champion broke down his expectations for the 2021 season on an episode of “The Bakery” podcast. Tucked in between romantic stories of trying to hide his gaming career from a crush and resisting Seth ‘Scump’ Abner’s kiss attempts, FormaL discussed the upcoming competitive season. With former teammate Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson moved over to Atlanta, OpTic’s AR revealed that FaZe are the biggest concern in 2021 — not the 2020 champion Dallas Empire. With the league transitioning to 4 vs. 4 and Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War, FormaL believes that Chicago is primed to win CDL Champs, but that Atlanta is the toughest test ahead. For mobile users, segment begins at 39:45. Like sniping from the safety of a head glitch, FormaL did not hesitate at all when asked who would Chicago considers the most troubling team in 2021: “Definitely FaZe. FaZe is just another powerhouse … They’re pretty well-rounded, they got an insane amount of talent, they all want to play with each other. It’s just how our team is.” Pinpointing FaZe’s roster balance, FormaL elaborated that the inclusion of Arcitys simply adds a new element to the competition between Chicago and Atlanta: “Alec’s a really good friend of mine. It’s gonna be really fun to play against him the whole year. You’ve got the Simp, aBeZy duo, you’ve got the Cellium thing … it’s gonna be a good rivalry for sure.” In 2020, Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr and Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris were one of the best SMG duos in the CDL while McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel was an MVP candidate (alongside Simp) in the flex role. When he spoke with Dexerto back in July, Cellium also told us that he thought Arcitys was the best AR in the league. While respectful of the talent and balance this new FaZe roster enjoys, FormaL was unfazed when asked who wins CDL Champs 2021: “We do. 100 percent.” This coincides with his earlier explanation that the change to 4 vs. 4 suits a Chicago team that prefers that style, is excited to reunite with Dashy, and enjoys Treyarch titles. Last year, the Empire came first, FaZe came second, and Chicago (at that point, the Huntsmen) came third. This year, FormaL expects to win, FaZe to repeat with silver, and it doesn’t even seem like third place is on his radar: “I don’t know who the f**k comes third, Paris?”

FormaL casually proves to Scump why he’s the “better T2P member” – Dexerto
FormaL casually proves to Scump why he’s the “better T2P member” MLGAfter his Chicago Huntsmen teammate Seth ‘Scump’ Abner posed the question, T2P member Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper promptly and casually made his case for why he’s the “better” member of the famed Call of Duty duo. Some of the best duos in history are built on one-upmanship, such as the unstoppable Lakers two-man show in Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. Like Shaq and Kobe, the legendary Call of Duty duo T2P has won many championships together, and required a bit of patching after a falling out. But, unlike the three-time NBA champions, the duo of Scump and FormaL are still playing together today, reunited under the Chicago Huntsmen banner and led by their former boss in Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez. As the two approach their next campaign together, with the opening weekend of Call of Duty League less than two weeks away, their competitive sparks haven’t faded at all, and even during streams they’re still trying to outclass each other. During a January 14 stream, Scump posed the question to his teammate: who would you say is the better T2P member? “It’s obvious,” FormaL replied, “it’s me.” As Seth remarked on his own impressive shots, Matthew kept calm while making his own case for being the best, dropping five opponents with the HDR sniper rifle in less than thirty seconds. Impressively, four of his kills came from four consecutive shots in a row, and included a helicopter passenger as well as the pilot who was attempting to flee. His final kill came from a player trying to hide next to a crane. “You might think you’re nasty,” his teammate Scump said, unaware that FormaL was in the midst of dropping four players with four straight shots, “but you’re not.” “Uh huh,” Piper replied, focusing more on getting kills than engaging in trash talk, “whatever you say, brotha.” Eventually, the teammates would lead their squads to a victory in the Ground War match they were in, and they hope to rack up a lot more wins together when CDL begins. The two won several events together under OpTic from 2015 to 2017, before a clashing of egos and a sudden downturn in quality of play resulted in FormaL’s departure and the collapse of the OpTic CoD empire, according to Scump. Years later, the two would reconcile their differences and reunite, with fresh championships aspirations now driving the duo forward once again.

FormaL bashes “f**king garbage” Modern Warfare 2 maps list – Dexerto
FormaL bashes “f**king garbage” Modern Warfare 2 maps list Call of Duty LeagueCoD legend Matt ‘FormaL’ Piper transitioned to Halo after falling out of love with the series, and Modern Warfare 2 failed to reignite his passion. Game crashing bugs and server issues plagued Modern Warfare 2’s launch. Those issues are easy to brush aside, but players pointed out far more troubling concerns. Community members disparaged MW’2’s UI as the worst in CoD history, and the Santa Sena Border Crossing map received overwhelming disapproval. Fans wanted MW2’s map structure to mirror classic CoD titles, but first impressions tell another story. FormaL already called out Warzone 2, claiming, “I thought the Warzone 2 premiere was f**king awful.” The Esports icon wasn’t much kinder to MW2’s multiplayer. Formal slams MW2’s map pool Call of Duty league Clips shared multiple videos of FormaL bashing Modern Warfare 2’s maps. He said, “These maps are just f**king garbage.”, after having only spent a short time with the game. His patience was already wearing thing on Modern Warfare 2’s launch day. It’s safe to say FormaL isn’t a fan of the map offering in the latest entry to the Call of Duty series. FormaL left in the middle of a Knockout match on Taraq and added, “I do not want to play this. I am already quitting out of maps an hour into the game; that’s not a good sign.” Fortunately, he has found much more success in Halo Infinite. OpTic beat Cloud9 to win the 2022 Halo World Championship on the back of a dominant win at HCS Orlando. The 27-year-old passed $1m in total career earnings and joined a select few of becoming a World Champion in multiple titles. It’s fair to say we won’t see FormaL on the main stage at a CoD event any time soon, but he is doing just fine in this new chapter of his illustrious career.

FormaL and Karma joke about OpTic reunion after they dominate Black Ops 4 match – Dexerto
FormaL and Karma joke about OpTic reunion after they dominate Black Ops 4 match Rico MejiaMatthew ‘FormaL’ Piper and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow shared a nostalgic joke about teaming together, as they dominated together in a practice match on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. FormaL and Karma are best known as two integral cogs of the OpTic Gaming dynasty; the CoD team that dominated the competitive scene from the middle of the Advanced Warfare season, when Karma was bumped up from OpTic Nation, replacing Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. From that point on, the OpTic roster consisting of FormaL, Karma, Crimsix and Scump, won numerous tournaments over a dominant three year stint. They finally cemented their place as the winningest CoD roster of all time after they won the Call of Duty World Championship in 2017, during Infinite Warfare. Despite not teaming together in over a year, the once unstoppable duo shared a nostalgic moment as they, once again, dominated a number of pros while playing Black Ops 4 on June 1. The two were playing on the same team on Seaside Hardpoint, when Karma and FormaL quickly combined for five kills – entirely wiping the enemy team, and protecting the fountain hardpoint spawn. “Good fucking hold, me and Damon, let’s go!” said FormaL. The clutch caused one of FormaL’s party to say he got “nostalgia” watching that, to which FormaL joked, “I know dude, holy shit. Please team with me.” Both players left OpTic during the turbulent WW2 season, with FormaL being traded to Luminosity Gaming for Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, while Karma was benched as Anthony ‘MethodZ’ Zinni joined OpTic. Karma returned to OpTic for Black Ops 4, and has found moderate success since, as they took home the 2019 CWL Las Vegas Open. FormaL still plays for Luminosity, the team which won the CWL Fort Worth Open 2019, but have struggled since then – placing 7-8 at CWL London and finishing Stage 1 Playoffs with a 5-13 record, causing them to finish dead last in Division A. The struggles they have endured saw them replace Pierce ‘Gunless’ Hillman with coach Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacy, and this is probably the basis for FormaL’s joke, as him and Karma show their incredible talent once again.

Forgotten Warzone SMG loadout is “OP” and still destroys enemies – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone SMG loadout is “OP” and still destroys enemies ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone TikToker have been giving a little shine to the LAPA SMG from Cold War as some believe it is “OP” even though it barely gets used. Since launching back as a part of 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Warzone has undergone two integrations since adding weapons from Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard. When these new weapons are added to the mix, some of the classics typically fall by the wayside, giving way to the new, shinier tools of destruction. However, while they might be forgotten about, the older weapons are not totally useless. Some Modern Warfare and Cold War guns are still in pretty good shape when it comes to the meta, and even some of those that aren’t used all that regularly are still fun. In recent weeks, Warzone players have made their case for underused weapons like the FiNN LMG, DMR, and VLK Rogue shotgun with unique builds that are surprisingly strong. Now, TikTokers like itsjibb have been putting the LAPA SMG from Cold War into the spotlight, claiming that it is “OP” even though nobody is using it. The build that players have been using follows the typical LAPA class, utilizing the Agency Suppressor, Rifled Barrel, Microflex LED optic, and STANAG rounds. Of course, with it being a Cold War gun, you can’t forget about the Tiger Team Spotlight laser either. TikTok’s “OP” LAPA Warzone loadout Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 7.9″ Rifled – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – Optic: Monoflex LED – Magazine: STANAG 50 round – As per WZRanked stats, the LAPA has fallen almost completely out of favor, coming in as the 73rd most-used weapon in Warzone at the minute. The SMG may never have really been a meta choice, even at its peak, but if you’re looking for something different to run for a few games, why not turn back the clock and deal some damage with it. After all, it’s solid.

Forgotten Warzone SMG loadout dominates meta Owen Gun in TTK – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone SMG loadout dominates meta Owen Gun in TTK ActivisionIf you’re searching for a different SMG to use in Warzone, you might want to revisit an old favorite from Modern Warfare that IceManIsaac believes is the best sniper support around. For the first time in quite a way, the meta in Call of Duty: Warzone is undergoing some pretty radical changes. Long-standing fan favorites like the Kar98k, Swiss K31, Bren, and MP5 have fallen off quite a bit following a number of nerfs. While some players have tried to persist with the popular weapons in their nerfed state, many have moved on and started revisiting classics such as the QBZ, Milano, M13, and even the LAPA. Though, when it comes to the SMG class specifically, there is one classic choice that could reign supreme as it has a better TTK than the Owen Gun – and that’s the AUG from Modern Warfare. Warzone YouTuber IceManIsaac highlighted the old faithful SMG in his May 5 video, labeling it the “best sniper support” weapon in the battle royale thanks to its solid TTK and the fact that everyone should have it leveled up decently. “I think it’s something that everybody has forgotten about, despite the fact it is statistically better than every other sniper support that I can find, and on top of that, it’s even better than the pre-nerf Owen Gun when it comes to Time to Kill,” Isaac said. The Warzone content creator noted that the AUG has a TTK of 630ms within the first 12 meters or so, and that jumps up to 810ms beyond 25 meters. It still has a nice TTK after 45 meters, but you should use your sniper at that range anyway. Best AUG Warzone loadout for sniper support Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: Tac Laser – Magazine: 5.56 NATO 60-round drum – Stock: FORGE TAC CQB Comb – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – As Isaac notes, some players have had complaints about the AUG’s recoil in the past, but that is easily solvable by using an optic like the Mini Reflex. The SMG has had its moment in Warzone, and with everything in flux at the minute, it could carve out a nice standing for itself. So, run the class and see how it feels.

Forgotten Warzone SMG could secretly be the new meta – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone SMG could secretly be the new meta ActivisionThe Warzone meta is quite settled at the moment, however, Modern Warfare’s AUG has some underrated power that is perfect for anyone looking to shake things up when it comes to their loadouts. While the Warzone meta has shifted quite a bit over the last few months, if you drop into Verdansk now, you’ll find players are pretty happy to use the Bullfrog, MAC-10, AK-47. Those weapons – alongside the sniper options of the KAR98 and Swiss – lead the way in the current meta, and not many players are willing to change things up as they feel they’ll be playing from behind the eight ball. However, if you’re feeling adventurous and want to rock a different SMG than the Bullfrog and MAC, well, the AUG might be the answer – at least for a few games. Warzone stats guru TrueGameData suggested that the weapon is one that more players should really be using – especially with its 5.56 ammo type. Why, you ask? Well, its TTK is up there with the best SMGs around and it has a slight tick more range. While rival SMGs like the Modern Warfare MP5 have been hit pretty hard, the AUG hasn’t been touched, which makes it more attractive according to the YouTuber. Though, it has to be with the 5.56 ammo type. The AUG’s recoil pattern is pretty standard and while you won’t be incredibly quick in getting around the map, you won’t be all that slow either as the movement speed is just a tick behind the much-loved MAC-10. So, it ticks all the key boxes. TrueGameData AUG Warzone loadout class Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Laser: Tac Laser – Magazine: NATO 5.56 30-round – Stock: FTAC Ultralight Hollow – Perk: Sleight of Hand – As the YouTuber points out the AUG “can really fry” in close-quarters fights and with it ranking as the 41st most-used weapon in Warzone currently per WZRanked stats, it is severely underused. Of course, if the SMG gets some love and becomes overpowered, Raven will likely spring into action with a nerf. But, for now, it’s worth trying out for a few games.

Forgotten Warzone SMG could be better than fan-favorite MAC-10 – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone SMG could be better than fan-favorite MAC-10 ActivisionThe MAC-10 has held a top spot in the Warzone meta for multiple seasons, but it may be time to put it down and pick up a weapon that often gets overlooked, the PPSh. When it comes to picking an SMG in Warzone Season 5, the majority of players will opt to use the Bullfrog or the MAC-10. Although there are multiple other options, these two weapons have been established as the meta picks. Unfortunately, the popularity of these guns has led to a lot of other SMGs being overlooked, when a few of them have the potential to rival the top spots. One, in particular, is the PPSh, and according to popular Warzone YouTuber TrueGameData, it should be replacing your MAC-10 loadout in Trios and Quads. He’s even included a top-tier loadout for the weapon so you can begin tearing down your opponents with the underused SMG. TrueGameData’s PPSh loadout could replace the MAC-10 While the MAC-10 and PPSh are very similar SMGs, TrueGameData outlines exactly why it may be time to put the fan-favorite weapon to the side. When looking at Damage Per Mag, the PPSh pumps out a significant amount more damage overall, allowing you to finish two enemies without reloading. This isn’t the case with the MAC-10 and requires players to run a throwing knife in Trios and Quads to finish off opponents. It’s this huge advantage that’s led TrueGameData to put the PPSh above the MAC-10 overall. However, if you’re going to make the most of this overlooked SMG, it’s key you have a top-tier loadout to go with it, and luckily, TrueGameData provides exactly that. Attachments Muzzle: GRU Suppressor – Ammunition: Spetsnaz 71 Round Drum – Underbarrel: Patrol Grip – Optic: Microflex LED – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – The loadout above focuses on maximizing mobility and damage, allowing you to push opponents aggressively and take close quarter gunfights. While PPSh doesn’t have the fire rate of the MAC-10, its TTK makes taking down enemies incredibly easily, as long as you hit your shots. So, consider picking up the PPSh, especially if you play a lot of Trios and Quads. Don’t forget to change up the build to fit your play style, loadouts all come down to preference and experimenting with different attachments.

Forgotten Warzone perk is actually way better than meta Tempered – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone perk is actually way better than meta Tempered ActivisionOne Warzone perk that players have neglected to use in recent months is actually way better than most give it credit for — and is actually better than Tempered for keeping you alive and in the action in the Call of Duty battle royale hit. The perk package meta in Warzone hasn’t changed a whole lot since the Modern Warfare 3 integration, and not many significant tweaks have been made to the perks to change that. While most players are comfortable with their regular selections, it might be worth changing up your choices — especially if you current run Tempered on all your classes. As shown by IceManIsaac, while needing just two armor plates to get fully plated is a huge benefit of Tempered, the total health replenishment is actually signficantly slower than if you used Quick Fix, instead. The Quick Fix perk allows health regen to start as soon as you kill a player, or if you apply a plate. This means that if you’re down to 1HP, putting a plate in will immediately start regenerating your regular health as well as plates, and get you back to full health extremely fast. Timestamp 0:28 As detailed, full health replenishment with Tempered takes over seven seconds — as opposed to just over two seconds when using Quick Fix. This can be imperative when getting in multiple gunfights, or just playing aggressively, allowing you to re-engage with opponents far quicker or simply make fights more even if you get pushed unexpectedly. Now, pair Quick Fix with the criminally underused Irradiated perk, and you’ll be able to maintain full health way more than before.

Forgotten Warzone Cold War rifle rises to the top of K/D leaderboard – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone Cold War rifle rises to the top of K/D leaderboard ActivisionWith Vanguard integration into Warzone Pacific some classic weapons have been left to collect dust. However, the Cold War C58 is coming out of the shadows as it rises back to the top of the K/D chart. When the C58 came out in Warzone it was immediately dubbed as the “no-recoil” king. Despite numerous nerfs, it still remained as one of the top assault rifles and was the meta. This changed when the EM2 was introduced in Season 5, as that gun took its place as the best in Warzone. Now, with Warzone Pacific and Vanguard-only modes, many of those guns were left behind. But with the recent playlist change, all weapons were back on the board and the C58 is dominating once again. C58 on top of Warzone K/D leaderboard On January 26, the C58 was the highest-ranked K/D weapon in all of Warzone (according to WZ Ranked). The deadly assault rifle racked up a 1.27 K/D but still sat at a 1% pick rate overall. This could be due to Vanguard Royale being a popular mode and only allowing weapons from that game, but the C58 is proving to be strong once again. Even after the Vanguard integration, Warzone guru JGOD still had the C58 ranked as the third-best loadout in the game. This AR packs one of the toughest punches in all of Warzone and is really easy to use. Since it has such little recoil, it has always been one of the top choices in the game. So while players go back to Rebirth Island or normal Battle Royale modes, it may be a good idea to throw on the C58 again and rack up some kills.

Forgotten Warzone AR loadout has fastest TTK of all weapons – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone AR loadout has fastest TTK of all weapons ActivisionThe AS VAL is getting some love from Warzone players as it has the “fastest” Time to Kill stats in the battle royale. However, it’s not quite broken the game’s meta. For quite some time now, the Warzone meta has become pretty settled. The Kar98 and Swiss 31 have consistently occupied the top spots while weapons like the AK-47, OTs 9, and XM4 have settled into decent spots. Though, not everyone loves to run with the meta loadouts. There are plenty of Warzone players who like to go off script, using some wackier classes, as well as some loadouts that they just feel comfortable with. The AS VAL hasn’t been a part of the meta for quite some time, but there are plenty of Warzone fans who still rock it. Why? Well, there is a loadout that helps it have the fastest TTK in the game – and it’s pretty viable in both Solos and Duos. The main knock on the AS VAL has always been that it’s not quite viable for Trios and Quads – with many players pointing to the magazine size as the reason why. Though, if it’s got the top TTK, it can be viable. As YouTuber IceManIsaac points out, the weapon kills enemies quicker than the FiNN LMG loadout that is centered on the Adverse barrel – which many players have suggested is overpowered and needs changing. However, the NRG content creator isn’t running the usual AS VAL loadout with the VLK Strelok stock and VLK 200mm Osa optic. Instead, he runs it as a sniper support weapon using Stippled Grip Tape and the G.I. Mini Reflex sight. AS VAL Warzone loadout for fastest TTK Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex – Magazine: 30 round mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Perk: Slight of Hand – As per stats from WZRanked, the AS VAL still sits way outside the meta, clocking in at 42nd overall in the most-used weapons chart. Though, the class that IceManIsaac has since an uptick in use and has amounted to an overall 1.2 K/D – which is not to be sniffed at. Though, as we’ve seen before with the VAL, it gets some love and falls away as the community pivots to something else, so it’s unlikely to reach its previous high points. However, it is a worthwhile choice if you want to freshen things up.

Forgotten Warzone 2 SMG beats meta options with deadly TTK after Season 4 changes – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone 2 SMG beats meta options with deadly TTK after Season 4 changes Xbox & Play/ActivisionIf you’re looking for a new SMG loadout to run in Warzone 2, you might want to consider the FSS Hurricane as it outguns some of the more meta choices. The meta in Warzone 2 has, typically, been dominated by just one weapon, but the Season 4 and Season 4 Reloaded updates changed that for the better. Sure, the Cronen Squall still leads the way in terms of pick rate, but the meta is in a healthy position. Following a round of additional weapon balancing changes, there are a handful of viable weapons in the battle royale – including the ISO 45, Lachmann Sub, M13B, and Kastov 762. These all have solid pick rates under the Squall, and have been highlighted across the board by different experts as being meta weapons. Though, if you’re looking to go off the beaten track and want to use something a little different, you should consider the FSS Hurricane. Best FSS Hurricane loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded The SMG was highlighted by Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal in his July 30 video, noting that it can compete with the likes of the ISO and Lachmann – which are both extremely meta. “It doesn’t have the craziest close-range TTK but after the 10-metre mark, when those other SMGs drop off, this doesn’t. It stays so consistent!” the YouTuber said. “It also has that 50-round mag by default so you can focus on mobility. It’s super easy (to use), the recoil is next to none here.” Inside that 10-metre mark, the Hurricane has a TTK of around 700m/s, which is super competitive. While it jumps up to 976m/s through 30-metres, that’s one of its big strengths seeing as it doesn’t balloon as high as others. Muzzle: Lockshot KT85 – Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser – Ammunition: 5.7×2.8mm Overpressured – Rear Grip: XTen Rear Grip – Stock: Demo Quicksilver Stock – While the Hurricane was a solid option in the early days of Warzone 2, it has certainly fallen off over the last few months. As per WZRanked stats, it has a 0.6% pick rate currently, and comes in as the 27th most-used weapon in the game. That pick rate should tick up a bit again seeing it competes with some of the go-to choices, so try and get ahead of the curve.

Forgotten Warzone 2 Battle Rifle is “overpowered” after Season 2 update – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone 2 Battle Rifle is “overpowered” after Season 2 update ActivisionWarzone 2 guru Metaphor has unveiled an “overpowered” Battle Rifle that has a devastating TTK and is being slept on in the current meta. When it comes to picking a top-tier weapon to dominate your enemies in Warzone 2, the majority of players simply opt for the most popular choices. In the current meta, these are the TAQ-56, RPK, Lachmann Sub, and ISO Hemlock. While there’s no denying that all of these guns are powerful, their popularity means a lot of hidden gems get overlooked. This is especially true in the Battle Rifle category, as these guns typically are equipped with devastating firepower, but lack stability for long-range gunfights. Well, Warzone 2 expert Metaphor has uncovered an “overpowered” Battle Rifle that’s being slept on despite receiving massive buffs in the Season 2 patch. Best Lachmann 762 loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Barrel: Romeo FT 16″ Barrel – Muzzle: Lockshot KT85 – Optic: Cronen Mini Pro – Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity – Magazine: 50-Round Drum – In the Season 2 patch, the Lachmann 762 Battle Rifle’s long-range damage and recoil were reduced, making it significantly stronger, especially in full auto mode. Metaphor noticed this and decided to experiment with the weapon, creating an “overpowered” loadout that can “take people out extremely quickly” thanks to its strong TTK. Although the Lachmann’s recoil does take some time to get used to, with enough practice it’s possible to “beam” foes from a distance. Not only that, the Cronen Mini Pro makes it simple to land shots at mid-range, and the 7.62 High-Velocity rounds ensure the gun packs a punch. Remember, it’s worth using Overkill so you can gain access to a second primary weapon. We recommend a meta SMG so you’re ready for any skirmish, no matter the range. According to WZRanked, the Lachmann 762 has a 0.3% pick rate, so it’s safe to say the gun is underrated, and for Metaphor, it’s a hidden gem that’s well-worth using in your matches.

Forgotten Warzone 2 battle rifle actually has devastating TTK in Season 2 – Dexerto
Forgotten Warzone 2 battle rifle actually has devastating TTK in Season 2 ActivisonWarzone 2 guru WhosImmortal has unveiled an underrated battle rifle that the community is sleeping on despite offering a powerful TTK and deadly precision. When it comes to the Warzone 2 meta, ARs, LMGs, and SMGs dominate the top spots in terms of popularity. Picks like the RAAL MG, TAQ-56, Lachmann Sub, and RPK have established themselves as the strongest options, but this does mean that a lot of other weapons get overlooked. One particular category that never gets the attention it deserves is battle rifles, which are usually tossed to the wayside due to their heavy recoil patterns. Well, Warzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has presented a lethal battle rifle that’s been completely forgotten by the community and could be the next deadly off-meta gun. Best FTAC Recon loadout in Warzone 2 Attachments Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip – Optic: Schalger 3.4x – Magazine: 15-Round Mag – Ammunition: .458 High Velocity – For WhosImmortal, the FTAC Recon is being underrated in Warzone 2 and justifies a better position in the meta thanks to its “solid TTK”. As the gun is a single-fire battle rifle, it does require a lot of accuracy from the user, but if you can land your shots, it can wipe out foes in an instant. In terms of the optic, it all comes down to preference but WhosImmortal recommends the Schalger 3.4x as it’s perfect for those mid-range skirmishes and allows you to lock onto your opponents. Overall, this loadout focuses on maximizing the FTAC’s bullet velocity and damage range, while also giving the gun an extra level of stability. Topic starts at 5:44 It’s worth noting that the FTAC Recon cannot compete at close quarters so Overkill is a must-use perk. This will give you access to a meta SMG and provide you with the firepower to dispatch enemies face-to-face. With a pick rate of just 0.1%, it’s safe to say the FTAC Recon has been forgotten, so test out the weapon and surprise your opponents in your next match with this powerful off-meta weapon.

Forgotten Vanguard LMG dominates Warzone KD charts after UGM nerf – Dexerto
Forgotten Vanguard LMG dominates Warzone KD charts after UGM nerf Treyarch/ActivisionAn underused Vanguard LMG is going under the radar in Warzone and currently has the highest KD ratio and second-best win rate in the entire game. Season 5 Reloaded has arrived in Warzone and it marks the end of an era as Raven’s final major update for their massively popular battle royale. While the update did introduce a set of significant balance changes, the top meta guns have remained the same, with the Cooper Carbine, Armaguerra 43, and Grau 5.56 dominating when it comes to pick rate. However, a nerf to the deadly UGM-8 has allowed some underused weapons to rise up the rankings, one of which being the Whitley LMG. While its pick rate remains extremely low, it’s topping the KD and win rate charts and may be an off-meta weapon worth testing in Season 5 Reloaded. Vanguard’s Whitley LMG is being overlooked in Warzone While LMGs aren’t known for their impressive mobility, they are deadly when it comes to TTK and eliminating enemies from long distances. Well, that’s exactly where the underrated Whitley thrives and while very few Warzone players are using this weapon, those who do use it are seeing a lot of success. According to WZRanked, the weapon has the highest KD in Season 5 Reloaded at an impressive 1.55 and it even holds second place for win rate at 5.51%. When it comes to identifying off-meta picks that are getting overlooked, it’s key to track a gun’s stats and the Whitley checks all the boxes. So, if you’re looking for an underrated weapon that can contend with the popular meta options, the Whitley is an ideal choice. Of course, it’s key you run Overkill alongside the weapon so you’re prepared for any close-quarter skirmishes. We recommend utilizing the MP40, H4 Blixen, or Armaguerra 43 as your secondary, as all of these options delete foes face-to-face. Forgotten Vanguard AR can actually dominate Warzone’s best SMGs – Dexerto
Forgotten Vanguard AR can actually dominate Warzone’s best SMGs ActivisionLooking for a weapon that can do it all in Warzone? Well, you might want to revisit an assault from Call of Duty: Vanguard that can operate like an SMG and do it all. It’s a few weeks at this point until Warzone 2 finally hits consoles and PCs alongside Modern Warfare 2, and fans of Warzone are trying to see it off with a bit of a bang. Following the Season 5 Reloaded update, many players have started revisiting their roots and using loadouts centered around guns from Modern Warfare 2019, but Vanguard weapons still lead the way in the meta thanks to their 10 attachments. Even though the likes of the Armuagerra, Cooper Carbine, and UGM-8 are still the dominant picks, there are plenty of Vanguard weapons that are still viable. That includes the Volk, which has certainly slipped away from view over the last few months. Best Volk loadout for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded The Assault Rifle was highlighted by Warzone YouTuber P4wnyhof on October 11, as he noted that it’s an all-around beast in the battle royale right now, and can be built to really limit the recoil. That includes using the likes of Perfectionist as a perk, the standard Recoil Booster as a barrel, but also means using the Krausnick S12V PS barrel instead of the more popular Reisdorf Adjustable stock. All in all, the build turns the Volk into your “best friend” according to the YouTuber, as it rocks a TTK of around 630ms in fights under 30 meters, as well as a 910ms TTK in battles over 60 meters. That as the YouTuber notes, rivals the Armuagerra and UGM respectively, which is no mean feat. Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: Krausnick 428mm 05V – Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal – Optic: M38/Slate 2.5x Custom – Stock: Krausnick S12V PS – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45-round mag – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Taped Grip – Perk 1: Perfectionist – Perk 2: On-Hand – Seeing as the Volk only has a 0.45 pick rate, according to WZRanked, it certainly falls into the category of flying under the radar. It’s unlikely to really rise up the ranks before the release of Warzone 2, but it’s certainly worth giving it a go for a session or two, just to use something different.

Forgotten MW3 LMG still dominates in Warzone, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Forgotten MW3 LMG still dominates in Warzone, but there’s a catch ActivisionThere is an LMG from Modern Warfare 3 that has been forgotten about a little bit ever since it got nerfed, however, it can still dominate in certain Warzone modes. While LMGs have always had a tricky relationship with Call of Duty players in normal multiplayer modes, the slow and powerful weapons have proven to be top-tier options when it comes to Warzone. The DG-58 had been the most recent LMG to rule the roost, but it has slipped away following nerfs in Season 3 Reloaded. That’s opened up spots for others to take over, with the likes of the TAQ Evolvere already being highlighted by some Warzone content creators. However, Warzone guru WhosImmortal is back on the Pulemyot 762 bandwagon, as the forgotten LMG is dominating again – but only in certain situations and modes. According to the YouTuber, the once-dominant LMG still has a “super competitive” TTK despite being nerfed in previous updates, but it’s best used in Resurgence. “It’s been a minute since we’ve actually been able to talk about this thing. As they’ve adjusted the long-range meta, this has slowly sort of crept back up,” WhosImmortal said. “It’s not the number one TTK by any means, but what this does have going for it is it’s decent TTK and it’s easy, easy control.” While the LMG itself may have fallen off a bit, the loadout hasn’t changed all that much. The YouTuber still opts for the JAK Annihilator Bullpup Conversion Kit to add some much-needed speed to the Pulemyot. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: JAK Annihilator long barrel – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Stock: Command D-15 Recoil – Conversion Kit: JAK Annihilator Bullpup Conversion Kit – Timestamp of 0:45 The recommendation from the YouTuber to just use it in Resurgence may put some players off using it in the normal battle royale mode, but the Pulemyot can still hold it’s own. As noted, it isn’t the only LMG seeing some love at the minute, as the TAQ Evolvere is also an option as the meta continues to shift.

Forgotten MW3 AR is dominating Warzone with “broken” Aftermarket Part – Dexerto
Forgotten MW3 AR is dominating Warzone with “broken” Aftermarket Part ActivisionThere is an Aftermarket Part that makes one of Modern Warfare 3’s most popular guns “broken” in Warzone, but everyone is still sleeping on it. When Aftermarket Parts were introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, CoD fans were able to take their weapon tinkering to a whole new level with these new attachments. In the early days, some of the new parts – especially optics – were seen as “pointless” by many players, but others have made guns broken and caused headaches for the devs. This has prompted a number of nerfs, leaving players searching for something else. However, there is one in Warzone right now that is being slept on but manages to make the Holger 556 – a previous fan-favorite in Modern Warfare 3 – pretty “broken” with a deadly TTK. That’s according to Warzone Guru Metaphor, who highlighted the Holger and the JAK Signal Burst Conversion Kit in his June 18 video. “This gun is actually a really good burst weapon and does have the potential to two burst,” the YouTuber said. “Usually, you’re going to be looking at three bursting people but this is a really good weapon. Long-range, it’s not the greatest gun in the game, burst guns are awkward at long-range, but this thing is pretty twisted.” Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator Flash Hider – Underbarrel: Bruen Pivot Vertical – Optic: JAK Glassless – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – Conversion Kit: JAK Signal Burst – Metaphor noted that this particular build gets the Holger’s bullet velocity up above 1130 m/s, which means you’ll be deleting enemies in no time. He also added that nobody has been using the Assault Rifle either, so you’re going to catch players out if you adopt it as part of your loadouts. Obviously, burst weapons aren’t for everyone – many players are going to stick with full-auto or bolt-action guns – but it’s clearly an interesting option amid the recent changes.

Forgotten MW2 weapon is still “actually beast” in Warzone despite drawbacks – Dexerto
Forgotten MW2 weapon is still “actually beast” in Warzone despite drawbacks ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has heaped praise onto a forgotten MW2 weapon that once dominated the Warzone meta believing it is still viable even today. Warzone Season 3 is here bringing with it a range of balance tweaks and new weapons like the MORS for players to try out. With everyone’s focus on these changes, it’s easy to overlook the options that have been there for over a year, but some of these older MW2 weapons are still viable. That’s a sentiment that expert WhosImmortal echoed with the Warzone content creator being extremely impressed by the TAQ-V despite not expecting much from it at first. WhosImmortal’s featured TAQ-V loadout used the following attachments: Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip – Ammunition: 7.62x51mm High Grain ammunition – Magazine: 30 Round Mag – Dominating lobbies with this TAQ-V loadout, WhosImmortal expressed: “Yo this gun is actually beast, like it’s actually good. I’m frying with it, what the f**k.” He would later clarify, “I’m not saying it’s top-tier meta or anything but you can definitely use the [TAQ-V] and not feel as though you are being bogged down by some sh*t gun.” According to WZ Ranked, the TAQ-V has a pitiful usage rate of just 0.04%, making it less popular than every Modern Warfare 3 weapon. Despite this, WhosImmortal was generally positive about the MW2 battle rifle, encouraging his viewers to try it out. Unfortunately, despite having a competitive TTK the TAQ-V has one big drawback shared by most Modern Warfare 2 weapons, excessive visual recoil. This exaggerated visual recoil makes MW2 weapons difficult to keep on target lowering their overall consistency, especially at long range.

Forgotten MW2 SMG is still lethal in Warzone but nobody is using it – Dexerto
Forgotten MW2 SMG is still lethal in Warzone but nobody is using it ActivisionA submachine gun from Modern Warfare 2, which never really had its chance to shine in the meta, is secretly a lethal option in Warzone, but almost nobody is using it. Modern Warfare 3 guns have dominated the Warzone meta ever since the game launched in November 2023. Despite that, there is the occasional MW2 gun that crops up and can put up a fight against the best meta classes. That is happening once again, as the VEL 46 – also known as the MP7 – is doing some serious damage across Urzikstan and Rebirth Island. While the SMG has had moments of popularity since MW2 came out in 2022, it’s not often found itself in the meta, but this loadout causes some serious damage, is easy to control, and even has great mobility too. Here’s how you’ll want to build the VEL 46 to best take advantage of its strengths: Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider – Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop – Magazine: 50 Round Mag – Rear Grip: ZLR Combat Grip – Stock: VEL A-568 Collapsed – This build prioritizes close-range gunfights, but if you want something that will perform better at mid-range, consider replacing the stock with the JAK Glassless Optic. This will make tracking enemies from further away much easier, with the VEL 46’s iron sights being designed with close-range duels in mind. One recommendation we would make is to not be tempted to go for the bigger 60 Round Mag instead of the 50 Round Mag. The larger 60 Round Mag reduces several key stats like Sprint to Fire speed, ADS speed, and movement speed, making it a poor tradeoff for just an extra 10 rounds. Obviously, as with any loadout we recommend, we suggest you try this out and feel free to use other attachments that may better suit your playstyle. It’s always worth fine-tuning any build you find online to make it perfect for you. Whether the VEL 46 really beats out the best Superi 46 or FJX Horus loadout is up for debate, but if you’re not quite vibing with those two guns, it might be worth trying out this throwback MP7.

Forgotten MW2 assault rifle loadout brings back AMAX Warzone Verdansk meta – Dexerto
Forgotten MW2 assault rifle loadout brings back AMAX Warzone Verdansk meta ActivisionOne Modern Warfare 2’s assault rifles could be perfect in Warzone for those looking to relive some of the glory days, with a class loadout made to bring the CR-56 AMAX back to the battle royale just like it was in Verdansk. The first couple of years of Warzone, where Verdansk was the main big map and Rebirth Island was still fresh and new, were among players’ most favorite times in the game. One gun that was beloved from that time in particular, after Black Ops Cold War was integrated into the game, was the CR-56 AMAX, most commonly paired with the Mac 10 SMG. The CR-56 AMAX was a low-recoil AR that could beam from long distance, while equally holding its own in closer-range fights. There was a time where just about everybody was using one. Now, top Warzone pro DiazBiffle has built a class that he believes replicates it almost perfectly. He uses the following attachments on the Kastov 762 to recreate the CR-56 AMAX: Conversion Kit: JAK Requiem – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip – Magazine: 40 Round Mag – The class takes advantage of the JAK Requiem Aftermarket Part that arrived in Modern Warfare 3 in Season 4, which completely eliminates all vertical recoil from the weapon. Paired with attachments to bolster accuracy further and a larger mag to help finish your kills, this gun may not be quite as lethal as the original AMAX, but it offers a similar feel when using it. There is a clear clamoring for Verdansk-era gunplay in Warzone right now, as the Kar98k arrived in Modern Warfare 3 and instantly became meta — with some players already annoyed by it. If the rumors are true, those wanting Verdansk back might get their wish after all. The original Warzone map may actually be coming back later in 2024 alongside Black Ops 6, though this is yet to be confirmed by Activision or Warzone developer Raven Software.

Forgotten MW2 AR is “better than ever” in Warzone after Season 3 Reloaded buffs – Dexerto
Forgotten MW2 AR is “better than ever” in Warzone after Season 3 Reloaded buffs ActivisionThere is a forgotten assault rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that is actually “better than ever” after some buffs in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, and could just be your next favorite gun. When Modern Warfare 3 launched back in November, there was a fair bit of stuff to be carried forward from Modern Warfare 2. That included the weapons from the previous game, even though they struggled to match the power of their newer counterparts. At first, updates to MW3 didn’t really show much love to those MW2 guns. They were left by the wayside and, as Warzone released, becoming totally “unusable” for some players. However, that story has changed in recent months as weapons from the previous game have started getting a few more buffs. One gun that has benefitted from a round of buffs is the FR Avancer. That’s according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal anyway, as he believes the MW2 assault rifle is “better than ever” in Season 3 Reloaded. “Another really solid sniper support option is the FR Avancer. This thing was buffed a little bit with Season 3 Reloaded,” the YouTuber pointed out in his May 14 video. “Technically speaking, now, it is better than ever which is really fun to see here. “This thing, even though it is an MW2 gun is pretty competitive across the board with sniper support. Don’t sleep on it.” Muzzle: Scratch 20-L Suppressor – Barrel: 435MM FR435 – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: MK.3 Reflector – Magazine: 60-round mag – Timestamp of 4:20 As per WZranked stats, the AR is still being thoroughly slept-on, ranking as the 81st most-popular gun in the battle royale. That is even despite the fact that WhosImmortal has highlighted it on more than one occasion. It isn’t the only weapon from Modern Warfare 2 to get some love recently, though. The Kastov 545 and TR-76 Geist have both gotten love from the Warzone guru, as the older weapons are becoming excellent options again.

Forgotten MW2 AR is “better than ever” and meta in Warzone again – Dexerto
Forgotten MW2 AR is “better than ever” and meta in Warzone again ActivisionA Modern Warfare 2 assault rifle that has gone largely overlooked in Warzone is now meta again, with the forgotten weapon receiving several buffs in Season 4. Back in Warzone 2, the Chimera was a top-tier sniper support weapon when it was added, a title that it would keep until MW3’s integration. Much like many other MW2 weapons, it fell out of favor with competitors like the WSP-9 and MCW JAK Raven taking its place. However, Season 4’s buffs and nerfs saw the Chimera receive a few key changes, with its damage being improved, and the MW2 AR’s arm modifier being increased from 0.95x to 1.16x. These buffs have improved both the TTK and overall consistency of the Chimera, seeing it climb back into the meta as one of Warzone’s best sniper support weapons. Impressed by the newly buffed assault rifle, Warzone expert WhosImmortal gave it high praise: “The Chimera got some buffs in Season 4, and in all reality, this thing is better than ever right now,” before later describing the MW2 AR as feeling “really, really good,” cementing its place in Season 4’s meta. WhosImmmortal’s recommended loadout for the Chimera used these attachments: Muzzle: Casus Brake L – Barrel: 6.5″ EXF Vorpal – Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop – Ammunition: Blackout High Grain Rounds – Magazine: 45 Round Mag – With the Chimera being a Modern Warfare 2 weapon, the attachment options available on it are much more limited than Warzone’s newer weapons. Many of its barrels, stocks, and rear grips provide hefty penalties to ADS Speed and Mobility, making them difficult to justify. Even so, there is still some room for adjustment with this loadout. Most notably, some players may prefer switching out the Blackout High Grain Rounds for an optic, while those who value stealth should switch the Casus Brake L muzzle for the Scratch 20-L Suppressor.

Forgotten Modern Warfare shotgun has one of the highest KD ratios in Warzone – Dexerto
Forgotten Modern Warfare shotgun has one of the highest KD ratios in Warzone Treyarch/ActivisionAn underrated Modern Warfare shotgun currently has the second highest KD ratio in Warzone after receiving huge buffs in the Season 4 Reloaded patch. While ARs, SMGs, Sniper Rifles, and even LMGs are all popular categories in Warzone, there’s one that often gets overlooked, and that’s shotguns. Although these weapons certainly are not lacking in firepower at close-quarters, the majority of players would rather equip a meta SMG in their secondary slot. Despite this, that might be about to change, as an underrated shotgun’s KD ratio has skyrocketed since the Season 4 Reloaded patch. This Modern Warfare weapon may have been forgotten by most of the community, but it’s definitely worth testing if you want to dominate opponents at close-range. VLK Rogue shotgun has second highest KD in Warzone According to WZRanked, since the Season 4 Reloaded patch, the VLK Rogue’s KD ratio has exploded to 1.39 and risen up to second behind the extremely popular H4 Blixen. While the Modern Warfare shotgun still has an incredibly low pick rate of just 0.2%. it may be worth getting ahead of the competition and testing this gun out in your matches. In the recent update, the VLK Rogue alongside a set of other shotguns received a 26% increase in its max pellet damage. This huge buff is likely the reason why the powerful weapon is performing so well and securing players countless kills in their matches. Warzone YouTuber IceManIsaac has even labeled the VLK “overpowered” in a recent video, so it’s possible the gun’s pick rate may rise significantly very soon. Either way, if you’re going to run the VLK, make sure to use Overkill so you can pair it with a strong AR or SMG. We recommend the KG M40 or the NZ-41 as both are strong options in the current meta. If you struggle to control recoil, it may be worth running the Vargo 52, as the Cold War weapon makes it easy to beam opponents from distance. Pairing any of these with the VLK will result in a versatile loadout that can perform on any map and net you a lot of kills.

Forgotten Modern Warfare AR is a beast in Warzone solos – Dexerto
Forgotten Modern Warfare AR is a beast in Warzone solos ActivisionFor players looking to shake up their Warzone loadout, look no further than Modern Warfare’s largely neglected AN-94, that can be built into an absolute machine for solos. Weapons like the Automaton and MP-40 are still running the tables in Warzone but there are plenty of ways to mix up your loadout to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. As the battle royale’s meta sees some weapons pick up steam, viable guns can be left by the wayside and players might not think twice about them. It’s those off-meta weapons that can deliver some of the best gameplay in Warzone, especially if they’re a factor to win some games. And that’s where the AN-94 comes into play. Forgotten AN-94 Warzone loadout is actually a beast In Metaphor’s March 19 YouTube video, he showed off an insane AN-94 build that makes the AR feel “satisfying” to shoot and mow down opponents. “I don’t really know what it is about this gun,” Metaphor said. “Just the sound of it shooting just feels so satisfying and really good. Overall I do enjoy using this weapon and I do recommend trying it out.” Best AN-94 loadout for Warzone Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Factory X-438mm – Optic: PBX Holo 7 Sight – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Metaphor had a ton of success taking this AN-94 build in Warzone Solos for anyone who’s been looking for a weapon that shreds while being a bit different from other players. This build can be really adaptable depending on personal preferences like switching out the grip tape for a tactical laser or stock. However, You might not find too many people running loadouts for the AN-94, seeing as it’s the 55th most used gun in the game, according to WZ ranked. But, if you choose run this build, the gun gets insane accuracy with decent control that complements its range. Warzone players looking for new setups to take into the BR could have a good option with this AN-94 class.

Forgotten Modern Warfare AR dominates Warzone solo games – Dexerto
Forgotten Modern Warfare AR dominates Warzone solo games ActivisionIf you’re trying to get ahead when it comes to the last few weeks of solos in Warzone, then you might want to consider picking up one of Modern Warfare’s classic rifles. With Warzone 2 rumored to be a few weeks away, plenty of Call of Duty fans are looking forward to the next battle royale and paying tribute to the original game by plowing plenty of hours into it. Following the Last Stand update for Season 5, the game’s massive final meta has been dominated by the Armuagerra, UGM, and H4 Blixen, but there are plenty of other options as well – especially if you want to go back to the glory days of Modern Warfare. In fact, if you’re a Solos-focused player and want to run it back with a few classics, you might want to consider revisiting the FN Scar 17 because it’s still pretty lethal. Best FN Scar 17 loadout for Warzone The Modern Warfare staple was highlighted by Warzone YouTuber Metaphor on September 15, as he recommended it as one of the best weapons around for solos at the minute. “Overall, this gun actually hits super freaking hard,” the YouTuber said. “However, it’s only viable for solos. I don’t recommend running this in any other game mode, but you are going to have success with this thing in solos. It has really, really good bullet velocity, so you can take people out of the air easily.” The way that the Scar is built, it has a TTK in the region of 735ms up to around 45 meters. Though, with it being a Modern Warfare weapon, the head and neck shot multipliers will help the TTK drop to around 525ms. So, yeah, it’s pretty deadly. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: FORGE TAC 20.0” LB – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Optic: Corp Combat Holo Sight – Magazine: 30-round mags – As per WZRanked stats, while the Scar was popular back in the day, it is no longer used all that much as it clocks in with a pick rate of around 0.13. It’s unlikely to receive any buffs to make it all that competitive in other game modes, but if you’re a solo player looking for something different for a few weeks, why not give it a go.

Forgotten Modern Warfare AR could be Warzone’s best all-round weapon – Dexerto
Forgotten Modern Warfare AR could be Warzone’s best all-round weapon ActivisionThe Call of Duty: Warzone meta could be set to shift once again as there is a Modern Warfare assault rifle that has a case to be the best overall weapon, but no one is using it. Over the last few months, the meta in Warzone has changed in a pretty huge way thanks to Raven Software’s wide array of weapon changes and balancing. Some long-time favorites like the Kar98 and AK-47 have fallen by the wayside, with the likes of the STG44, NZ-41, and Type 100 taking over. Though, there is still plenty of room for experimenting and trying out some more under-the-radar options. That has led some players to go back and try out weapons from Modern Warfare which, while lacking the same number of attachments as Vanguard guns, have some of the best TTKs around. And the FAL, which absolutely no one uses, may have the best of them all. Warzone guru WhosImmortal highlighted the assault rifle in his June 15 video, noting how it has a 0.14 pick rate on WZRanked, but can be absolutely deadly in the right hands. As the YouTuber shows, FAL has an excellent TTK at all ranges and beats out the likes of the BAR, Owen Gun, and Vargo at close range. While it lags behind the Type 100 just a little in close-range battles, the Modern Warfare AR really outshines the competition from beyond 20 meters. The one caveat with the gun though is that because it’s a semi-auto, you do need a solid trigger finger to maximize its potential. It’s not an incredibly easy gun to use, but if you master it, you will see success as the YouTuber points out. Best FAL meta loadout for Warzone Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: XRK Marksman – Laser: Tac Laser – Ammunition: 30 round mags – Perk: Sleight of Hand – As WhosImmortal notes, the use of Sleight of Hand is pretty key to this build, given it means you have an almost “instantaneous” reload time. “It’s just so powerful and high-risk, high-reward that it actually works better now than ever before with 300hp,” the YouTuber added. Of course, with that high-risk, high-reward factor, plenty of players may choose to stay away from it and use something a little easier, but don’t be shocked if you run into more FAL users in the near future.

Forgotten Modern Warfare 2 marksman rifle leaps up meta rankings after RPK nerfs – Dexerto
Forgotten Modern Warfare 2 marksman rifle leaps up meta rankings after RPK nerfs ActivisionSince the launch of Season 2, a number of new weapons have entered the Warzone 2 meta, and that’s happened again after the mid-season Reloaded update, with the meta shifting and more weapons becoming viable. Now, one forgotten rifle from MW2 is climbing up the rankings. For the first few months of Warzone 2 on Al Mazrah, you’d be hard-pushed to find a player not using the RPK LMG and a Fennec SMG as their secondary. With a string of nerfs, as well as buffs to other weapons, they are no longer clear-cut favorites in Warzone 2, in either Al Mazrah or Ashika Island. In fact, both have fallen way down the meta rankings with extremely low pick rates after Season 2 Reloaded. In their place has come a far more varied meta with a mix of LMGs, Assault Rifles, SMGs and more. One gun that has been quietly becoming way more popular and can really rip off heads, though, is a marksman rifle that previously hadn’t got much love in battle royale or multiplayer. TAQ M growing in popularity in Warzone 2 The TAQ M is a marksman rifle that hasn’t really had much love since Warzone 2 dropped, but is slowly climbing the meta rankings of late. According to WZRanked, the TAQ M is now the 10th most popular weapon at the time of writing with a 2% pick rate, a solid spike up from where it was just a few weeks ago. This places it firmly ahead of the likes of the RPK, Chimera, RAAL, and Kastov-74u, and it can certainly pack a punch too. Be sure to check out our best TAQ M loadout for Warzone 2, because this might help you stay ahead of the meta and rack up the kills.

Forgotten Cold War sniper could dominate Warzone meta in Season 3 – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War sniper could dominate Warzone meta in Season 3 ActivisionWith Warzone Pacific’s Season 3 update on the horizon, there could be significant changes to the sniper meta – and a forgotten Black Ops Cold War weapon could benefit in a big way. While plenty of new snipers have been added to the Warzone mix over the last year or so, the long-range meta continues to be dominated by the Kar98k and Swiss K31. Despite nerfs and other weapons getting much-needed buffs, both sniper rifles have maintained spots inside the top five most-used weapons for the last year and are pretty much required on Caldera, given the nature of many gunfights. With the Season 3 update on the horizon from Raven Software, some players believe they’ll finally get what they want and that the sniper meta will be shaken up. If that comes to fruition, it could be good news for Black Ops Cold War’s LW3 Tundra. Warzone guru Metaphor highlighted the powerful Cold War sniper in his April 17 video, suggesting that it could be the one to knock the Kar and Swiss off their perch and will become a part of the meta. “There are massive sniper changes coming in season 3 that will drastically shift the meta,” the YouTuber said. “The Tundra is also being hurt by these changes, however, it will rise above other weapons when the time comes.” As he showed, the bolt-action sniper can cause havoc on Caldera thanks to its high bullet velocity and speedy ADS. Though, the recoil can be a bit of a drawback compared to other snipers. Best LW3 Tundra loadout in Warzone Season 2 Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor – Barrel: 29.1′ Combat Recon – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight – Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – As noted, it’s difficult for any sniper not named the Kar or Swiss to make an impact on the meta, and the Tundra absolutely falls under the underused umbrella give it has a 0.35% pick rate on WZRanked. If the YouTuber is right and snipers are nerfed into the ground next season, players will experiment with other choices – and that could be great news for the Tundra. So, adopt it early.

Forgotten Cold War SMG is “top tier” Warzone sniper support gun – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War SMG is “top tier” Warzone sniper support gun ActivisionLooking for a new SMG or sniper support weapon to run in Warzone? Well, there’s a “slept on” Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War gun that might be the answer you’re looking for. When it comes to picking the absolute best gun in Warzone, there are plenty of different factors to consider. Some players want a dominant all-around option, others want something that’s just good at close-range, while some players will use whatever they’re feeling at the time. The likes of the Armaguerra, KG M40, STG-44, and H4 Blixen tick many of the boxes for players and, as such, lead the way in the meta. Though, you don’t just have to be a slave to the meta to find success across Warzone. There are plenty of under-the-radar guns out there that can get the job done, at least for a few games. Black Ops Cold War’s LC-10 very much falls into that category, as players have found it’s a useful sniper support option. Cold War LC10 could be meta gun in Warzone again That’s right, the LC10 has had its moment in the spotlight before, and it was pretty dominant in the past, but nerfs have seen its pick rate bottom out and be pretty forgotten by Warzone players. However, in his August 20 video, YouTuber Metaphor highlighted the Cold War SMG and believes it is “slept on” right now. “It’s definitely a top-tier sniper support,” the Warzone content creator said. If you’ve got the LC10 maxed out, you’ll be familiar with the best attachments to use, as the Agency Suppressor, 13.9’ Task Force barrel, and Raider Stock all keep their usual places for this build. Best LC10 Warzone loadout Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 13.9’ Task Force – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – Stock: Raider Stock – Magazine: 45-round – As noted, the LC10 is certainly an off-meta pick right now, seeing as WZRanked has its pick rate at around 0.26, which is on par with the likes of the PPSH and Sten. Only time will tell if the Cold War SMG will be able to reclaim a spot amongst the meta, but it’s certainly worth running for a few games if you want to freshen things up.

Forgotten Cold War SMG is still one of Warzone’s most dominant weapons – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War SMG is still one of Warzone’s most dominant weapons ActivisionWarzone’s meta might still be dominated by Call of Duty: Vanguard guns, but there’s an under-the-radar SMG from Cold War that is still lifting some players to victory. We’re getting closer and closer to the point in which Call of Duty: Warzone finally hands over the keys to Warzone 2 and lets players experience a brand-new battle royale. While plenty of players have been grinding away in Modern Warfare 2 and preparing themselves for Warzone 2, there are still plenty of others who won’t leave Caldera and Rebirth Island just yet. They’re squeezing every last drop out of the battle royale. Even though many of these players are still running weapons from Call of Duty: Vanguard, there are weapons from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War that can still get the job done. That includes the UGR. Best UGR loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 5 Reloaded That’s right, if you were one of those players who enjoyed the UGR when it was released as a part of Cold War’s Season 3, you might want to revisit it at some point soon. Why, you ask? Well, according to WZRanked, the SMG might only have a pick rate of 0.20, but its kill/death ratio and win rate are both way higher. It clocks in with a 3.27 win rate and 1.12 KD in fact, which is just outside the top ten in both categories. So, skilled players are getting results with it. What makes the SMG even more interesting, is that there isn’t a different build for KD or win rate like other weapons. It’s the exact same for both, so you can quickly get to grips with it if you’ve been away from the UGR for a while. That build includes the classic GRU Suppressor, 10.7’ Task Force barrel, Tiger Team Spotlight, Bruiser Grip, and Explosive Flechettes magazine. So, if you’ve got the UGR unlocked and leveled up, take it back out for a spin. It might just surprise you once again.

Forgotten Cold War SMG can still absolutely dominate in Warzone – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War SMG can still absolutely dominate in Warzone ActivisionIf you’re looking to switch up your Warzone loadouts and revisit some of the older weapons in the battle royale, there is a Black Ops Cold War SMG that is still pretty deadly despite falling off a bit. It has been almost three months since Call of Duty: Warzone waved goodbye to Verdansk and moved into Caldera following the arrival of the Warzone Pacific integration in Call of Duty: Vanguard. In that time, the battle royale meta has been shaken up quite a bit, with weapons like the Bren, Cooper Carbine, MP-40, and Automaton taking over, leaving some of the old fan-favorites in the dust. There are still a few Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War weapons that get some love on a regular basis. However, if you want to shake things up and revisit a classic weapon, the LC10 is a pretty underrated pick, and it still shreds through enemies. Warzone content creator TheKoreanSavage highlighted the Cold War weapon in his February 24 video with a ‘hipfire’ focused build for the SMG, calling it a “really good all-rounder” for players. With it being a hipfire build, it isn’t the standard LC10 loadout that you may have come across a few seasons ago. For example, there is no room for the usually standard Raider Stock or Field Agent Grip. Instead, the YouTuber uses the Bruiser Grip and takes the SWAT 5mw Laser. The always popular Salvo 52-round mag does get some love, though, as does the Agency Suppressor. Best LC10 loadout for Warzone Pacific Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 13.9′ Task Force – Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser – Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip – Magazine: Salvo 52-round fast mag – As noted, while the LC10 had its day back in Cold War – securing a place inside the top-10 most-used weapons at different points – it has slipped away in recent seasons. According to WZRanked stats, it is currently the 39th most-used weapon in-game and has a 0.34 pick rate. So, it is certainly underrated. Though, we should see that pick rate rise if players start rocking the hipfire loadout.

Forgotten Cold War LMG rules Warzone Season 5 despite terrible pick-rate – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War LMG rules Warzone Season 5 despite terrible pick-rate ActivisionOne forgotten Cold War LMG dominates Warzone Season 5 in terms of K/D ratio and win-rate, in spite of having a truly awful pick-rate of just 0.04%. In general, the usability of Warzone weapons is reflected in their pick-rates. The stronger the weapon, the more players choose to use it to maximize their chances of racking up those dubs. That’s why, in Season 5, so many players are flocking towards dominant weapons like the Armaguerra 43 and PPSh-41. However, on occasion, a truly powerful weapon flies under the radar and outperforms its popularity. That is the case with the Season 5 MG 82. Cold War MG 82 dominates Warzone despite awful pick-rate Currently, according to trusty Warzone stats site WZRanked, the MG 82 has a pick-rate of 0.04%. That makes it one of most rarely used weapons in the entire battle royale, below weapons like the Origin 12 shotgun and Dragunov semi-auto sniper. However, it’s an entirely different story when taking into account K/D ratio and win-rate. In terms of the former, its 1.17 K/D makes it seventh in the entire battle royale. Its win-rate, though, is where it really shines. Currently sitting at 7.49%, it is by some margin the weapon with which players win the most games. In short, its performance is leagues above its pick-rate. Our recommended build for the MG 82, utilizing its ammo capacity and maximizing its damage, is below: Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 16.4” Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – While its an incredibly powerful weapon at medium and longer ranges, players will need a close-range gun to ensure they’re not caught out by nearby enemies. For that, we’d recommend the Armaguerra 43 or PPSh-41, both of which dominate the meta in Season 5. Combine those tried and trusted weapons with this sleeping giant and you’ll be well on your way to racking up Warzone wins.

Forgotten Cold War LMG is still one of most lethal weapons in Warzone – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War LMG is still one of most lethal weapons in Warzone ActivisionAn LMG from Black Ops Cold War is proving to be one of the most deadly weapons in Warzone — and hardly anybody is using it. The meta has shifted significantly over the years. The Vanguard integration brought Caldera to Warzone and a whole host of new weapons, blasting the meta open and giving players the chance to experiment with all different kinds of guns and playstyles. While the Automaton, MP40, and Kar98k remain the weapons of choice for most players, there are some weapons that can do some serious damage, and nobody is really talking about them. One of those is the MG 82 LMG from Cold War, which has an alarmingly high average KD for a gun with such a low pick rate. With just a 0.12 pick ratio, the MG 82 — which was once a popular meta pick in Warzone — is one of the least-picked guns in the entire game according to WZRanked. Despite that, the MG 82 actually has a 1.30 KD, beaten only by the Owen Gun (1.48) and Automaton (1.34). You can check out our recommended best MG 82 loadout for Warzone if you’re looking to get to grips with the gun, and use something different from the popular Automaton or XM4 for long-range battles. The MG 82 was also cited by Warzone guru JGOD as one of the best weapons for long-range gunfights, so that begs the question, why is it not used more? If you’re looking to shake things up and turn some heads on Caldera or Rebirth Island, the MG 82 might be a perfect choice.

Forgotten Cold War AR’s lethal TTK can compete with the NZ-41 in Warzone – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War AR’s lethal TTK can compete with the NZ-41 in Warzone Treyarch/ActivisionThe NZ-41 and STG44 have risen up as the two powerhouses in the Warzone AR meta, but there is a strong Cold War alternative that can compete with their TTKs. In Warzone Season 4, the STG44 and NZ-41 have stood out as the two strongest ARs in the current meta. However, their overwhelming popularity has led to a lot of powerful alternatives being overlooked, especially guns from Cold War. One of which is the lethal C58, an AR that seems to have been forgotten by a lot of the community, despite boasting an impressive TTK. Luckily, Warzone expert IceManIsaac has outlined the perfect loadout for the gun and is convinced it can compete with the popular NZ-41. Best C58 Warzone loadout in Season 4 Attachments Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 18.5″ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Ammunition: 45 Rnd Drum – In IceManIsaac’s latest video, he discusses the underrated C58 from Cold War, an AR that used to be considered meta but has slowly been forgotten by the community. According to the Warzone expert, the C58 actually has a faster TTK than the NZ-41 at long-range, making it perfect for beaming down opponents. IceManIsaac has designed the build above to thrive from a distance and although the C58’s recoil pattern can be unforgiving, it’s easily mastered after some experience with the gun. Keep in mind, that the C58 does have a relatively slow ADS time, so running Overkill and an SMG with this AR is recommended. According to WZRanked, the C58 has an incredibly low pick rate of just 0.15%, so it’ll be interesting to see if IceManIsaac’s video boosts the Cold War ARs popularity. Either way, before the rest of the community picks up on its power, it’s definitely worth testing the C58 in one of your matches and making the most of its powerful TTK.

Forgotten Cold War AR is still dominant on Warzone’s Rebirth Island – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War AR is still dominant on Warzone’s Rebirth Island Treyarch/ActivisionWarzone expert FaZe Booya has showcased a powerful Cold War AR that’s going under the radar in the current meta and is perfect for dominating Rebirth Island. Although Warzone has a huge arsenal of weapons for players to choose from, the meta is primarily made up of Vanguard guns. This is especially true for ARs, and while picks like the Cooper Carbine and Automaton are undeniably strong, their popularity does lead to a lot of other options getting overlooked. Sometimes instead of basing your loadouts on pick rate, it can be a good idea to take a trip back in time and test some OG weapons from the past. Well, FaZe Booya has done exactly that, and he’s found a burst AR from Cold War that is being slept on, especially when it comes to Rebirth Island. Best M16 loadout in Warzone Season 5 Attachments Muzzle: Agency Silencer – Barrel: 16.3″ Titanium – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip – Magazine: 45 Rnd – Back in the days of Verdansk, the M16 had its time in the meta, giving players the opportunity to one-burst their opponents with ease. Although the gun is certainly not back in its prime, Booya is convinced it’s still a viable pick, especially when it comes to Rebirth Island. As the gun thrives at medium-range, the smaller map makes it easy to melt opponents with multiple bursts, giving them no chance to fire back. Booya’s build maximizes the M16’s damage output while keeping its recoil low, allowing you to land all your bullets on target. The talented FPS player even managed to drop 9.3k damage with the loadout, so it’s well-worth testing in one of your matches. Keep in mind, you will need to run Overkill with this build so you can utilize a meta SMG for close-quarter engagements. Booya opts for the meta PPSh-41, but the Armaguerra 43 is another option that’s devastating in Season 5. While the M16 isn’t one of Warzone’s top-tier ARs anymore, sometimes it’s fun to have a break from the Vanguard meta and take a trip back in time with a weapon that’s certainly underrated.

Forgotten Cold War AR has better TTK than Warzone meta weapons – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War AR has better TTK than Warzone meta weapons ActivisionWarzone stats have shown that the C58 assault rifle is still one of the battle royale’s best weapons, even though it has slipped out of the meta recently. Every weapon type has had its moment in the spotlight in Warzone, with different guns rising to the top of the meta at one point or another. When it comes to assault rifles, Modern Warfare’s Grau, Kilo, and M13 have hung around the top choices even though the meta picks have fallen the way of Cold War’s AK-47, EM2, and FARA 83. The C58, another Cold War addition, had dominated the assault rifle meta at one point – rising to be the third most-used weapon in the battle royale as well – but it has slipped way outside the meta in recent weeks. However, that could change in the near future. Warzone stats guru TrueGameData revealed that some players had found that the C58 has a better time-to-kill (TTK) compared to the AK-47 and EM2 – the two top picks in the current AR meta. Where the C58 gets its advantage comes at long range, specifically, shots from over 38 meters that hit different parts of enemy hitboxes. “The C58, with these shot location percentages actually kills faster than the EM2 and Cold War AK, which is crazy. I mean, most of your engagements with this gun are going to be in those second damage ranges,” the YouTuber explained. He noted that the EM2 has a leg up when it comes to popularity because it is more versatile than the C58 as it has a similar TTK at the 38+ meter range but has a way better TTK when in close-range fights and after a first shot that lands as a headshot. Best long range C58 Warzone loadout Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 18.7′ Ranger – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Ammo: 45 round mag – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – As TGD notes, the C58 is “absolutely” a meta weapon but it is being “slept on” because of the current love that the EM2 has been receiving. The C58 has risen a tiny bit on the WZRanked most-used list, moving more towards 20th overall, but it remains to be seen if it’ll jump back up to its previous spots inside the top five.

Forgotten Cold War AR could be Warzone’s next meta weapon – Dexerto
Forgotten Cold War AR could be Warzone’s next meta weapon ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players have been showing love to an assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War that has fallen away in recent months, but could become meta before long. The meta in Call of Duty: Warzone has, in recent weeks, pretty much been taken over by weapons from Vanguard. A mix of the MP-40, Cooper Carbine, and Bren will regularly make up winning loadouts in Caldera, while Modern Warfare’s Swiss and Kar98 also get some love. Though, not everybody sticks with the meta. Many players like to experiment with some of the battle royale’s more underused weapons, seeing if they can make an impact in matches. Recently, players have found that the Bruen MK9 matches the Bren in TTK (Time-To-Kill) and that the Vargo 52 is on par with the dominant XM4. Now, it’s the QBZ-83 that is drawing attention, as it could be on its way to the top. The power of the Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle was highlighted by Warzone YouTuber Metaphor in his April 7 video, as he was a bit surprised by just how solid of a weapon it is. Read More: When is Warzone Pacific Season 3? – “This is a gun that has never really been meta, but is slowly, slowly creeping into play,” the YouTuber said. “It’s just not really being talked about right now, but in the near future, people are going to be gassing this gun.” There isn’t a particular attachment that bumps the QBZ up, as players have been rocking a pretty standard build involving the Agency Suppressor, 15.5′ Task Force Barrel, and Axial Arms 3x optic. Though, the 45-round drum mag has started to be preferred over the 60-round option. Best QBZ-83 Warzone loadout for Caldera Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 15.5′ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: 45-round drum – The AR certainly falls into the category of being abandoned by players, seeing as it ranks 75th overall on WZRanked. Its previous peak was in the mid 20’s back when Cold War was the newest release. It has crept up a touch in recent weeks when it comes to K/D ratio, which means skilled players are having success with it, but it remains to be seen if it will jump up massively and become a go-to choice for all players.

Forgotten Black Ops Cold War gun is fastest-killing AR in Warzone – Dexerto
Forgotten Black Ops Cold War gun is fastest-killing AR in Warzone ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s fastest TTK (Time-to-Kill) Assault Rifle is actually a Black Ops Cold War weapon that nobody is using, and it might be time to bring it back. Ever since the integration between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone happened at the end of 2021, weapons like the MP-40, Cooper Carbine, and Automaton have reigned supreme in the meta. The Vanguard weapons, which benefit from having ten attachment slots, are still the cream of the crop after plenty of tweaks from Raven but they’re not for everyone. Plenty of players have gone back to weapons from both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, and they’ve found plenty of success. As the Vanguard guns have taken over, some older weapons have gone under the radar at times, but they can still be pretty dominant. Take the EM2 for example, it’s an incredibly underused weapon, but actually has the best TTK for any Assault Rifle on Caldera. That’s right, it’s not the XM4, Cooper Carbine, or AK-47 that is going to rip through opponents the quickest, but rather the EM2 – a once-popular weapon that has fallen off. Its TTK dominance was highlighted by both JGOD and IceManIsaac, with the latter noting that the weapon simply “beams” at the minute. As per JGOD’s stats, the EM2 has a TTK of 788ms, which is pretty superior to the XM4’s 832ms. The XM4 does have the upper hand when it comes to Rebirth Island, however. IceManIsaac also noted that there is a lot of “visual shake” with the EM2 that may put players off, but its recoil pattern is easy enough to deal with and there is no wacky build – it’s just pretty typical of when the EM2 was popular. Best EM2 loadout for Warzone & Caldera’s top TTK Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 25.8′ Task Force – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: 40 round mags – As noted, the EM2 has fallen off in popularity over the last few seasons, and sits as the 48th most-used weapon with a 0.33% pick rate, according to WZRanked. So, it’s safe to say that nobody is using it and that they’re missing a trick by not doing so.

Forgotten Black Ops Cold War AR can still dominate in Warzone Pacific – Dexerto
Forgotten Black Ops Cold War AR can still dominate in Warzone Pacific ActivisionA forgotten gun, the FFAR from Black Ops Cold War, can still absolutely dominate the Warzone meta with the correct loadout despite its current pick rate sitting at less than 1% in Caldera. Since Warzone’s release in March 2020, guns from the previous three Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, have been added to the game. With the gun meta constantly changing with every update and more weapons being introduced every season, many weapons eventually become forgotten about. Among the many guns that are underused is the FFAR from Black Ops Cold War which, just like it did in Verdansk, still completely shreds the competition in Caldera. The FFAR currently sits at a pick rate of 0.389% according to stat site WZranked. However, with the right attachments, the weapon still has the potential to decimate the competition. As demonstrated by Warzone creator Westie, the FFAR still packs an insane punch. In a video posted on January 29, the creator provided the best attachments for the Cold War gun. Warzone FFAR best attachments Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 19.5″ Task Force – Stock: Raider Stock – Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip – Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd – During the video, Westie showed off just how powerful the mid-range rifle with the right loadout is, where he got 19 kills and absolutely destroyed the lobby. The Agency Suppressor is a must have on any weapon, while the Task Force Barrel and Field Agent Grip keep it nice and quick while balancing its moderate recoil. The STANAG 50 Rnd Mag, too, is a must have on a weapon that fires as quickly as the FFAR. Next time you’re dropping into Caldera, it definitely might be worth giving the loadout a try. Especially for Verdansk players that are already familiar with the once-popular weapon.

Forgotten attachment turns Kar98k into one-shot hipfire Warzone demon – Dexerto
Forgotten attachment turns Kar98k into one-shot hipfire Warzone demon ActivisionThe iconic Kar98k marksman rifle arrived in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4, much to the delight of the playerbase, with it being one of the most popular guns in franchise history. This loadout makes it even more of a beast in both Warzone and multiplayer, and you don’t even have to aim in. While the arrival of the weapon was highly anticipated when it first got leaked, players were fairly quick to turn on it, with many Warzone players complaining about it dominating the meta almost instantly. However, things are about to get much worse for those players once this one-shot hipfire Kar98k class starts to spread. Here are the attachments you need: Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L – Barrel: Präzisiongewehr 762 Long Barrel – Ammunition: 7.92 High Grain Rounds – Laser: CS15 Scarlet Box Laser – These Muzzle, Barrel, and Ammo attachments are used to maximize bullet velocity, range, and firepower, but the real key to this loadout is the CS15 Scarlet Box laser. When equipped, this grants near-perfect hipfire accuracy, meaning you can be way more aggressive with the weapon, or even just pick off opponents from a distance without even needing to ADS. Obviously, this recommended loadout only uses four attachments, so you can leave it at that or find another one that you would like. The addition of either an underbarrel or stock is worth considering as they can help improve handling and mobility. This is especially effective on Resurgence maps like Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, where fights are typically close-range, but there are also several good vantage points to hold a head glitch. If this doesn’t quite tickle your fancy, make sure you check out our best Kar98k Warzone class so you can destroy your opponents the old-fashioned way.

Foresight killstreak in Warzone explained – Dexerto
Foresight killstreak in Warzone explained ActivisionThe Foresight Killstreak is making a return to Warzone, and it is giving anyone who uses it a big edge to keep themselves alive. After disappearing from the game, the Foresight Killstreak is making a return to Warzone as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update. This new, but old, killstreak is going to help you immensely in strategizing your location and how to keep yourself alive. To learn more about the Foresight killstreak in Warzone, here is a breakdown of everything you need to know. What is the Foresight Killstreak in Warzone? When picked up and used, the Foresight Killstreak will give you the ability to see where all future gas circles will be so that you can plan ahead of where to go next. Furthermore, you actively share this information with your squad, ensuring everyone can see it together. Giving yourself this advantage means that there will be no more scrambling to get to the safe zone, or worrying about where the safest place to hunker down is. You can have the knowledge before your opponents and have time to set up an ambush on them whenever you want. How to get the Foresight Killstreak As of now, the exact method of getting the Foresight Killstreak is unknown. First and foremost, it is only available on the Rebirth Island map for Resurgence. Currently, it is not available on Urzikstan, Vondel, or Fortune’s Keep. Getting the Foresight Killstreak is a little different than it was previously. Before, you could purchase it at a Buy Station for a steep $20,000. While the exact information is being kept under wraps for now, it is known that it is a rare piece of loot. This suggests that such information can be gathered from various sources like loot caches, weapon lockers, supply crates, or simply found lying on the ground. As more information comes out about when and where this item is available, we will update the information here.

For OpTic Texas, Major IV was just “practice” for CDL Champs – Dexerto
For OpTic Texas, Major IV was just “practice” for CDL Champs David Doran/ESPATAfter a season derailed by injury, a healthy OpTic Texas head to CDL Champs as the second seed. Finishing fourth at Major IV wasn’t ideal, but for the ‘Green Wall’, it was a chance to pick up form before the Call of Duty League postseason. Formed for the CDL’s 2022 season, OpTic Texas rose from the ashes of the disbanded-then-merged OpTic and Envy franchises: OpTic Chicago and the Dallas Empire. Combining the 2020 champion Empire’s Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro and Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal with OpTic’s iconic Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, the team surged into the year with a championship at Major I. But those lofty expectations soon gave way to concern as OpTic placed 5th-6th at Major II before iLLeY – known by many as ‘The Undertaker’ – left the lineup for two months due to injury. During his absence, the team failed to improve on their previous placing at Major III. Major IV marked iLLeY’s return to the lineup and, with him, a quasi-return to form. While fans may have been disappointed by a fourth-place finish, the team simply described the tournament as “practice for Champs.” ‘The Undertaker’ returns While Scump needs no introduction, Shotzzy is a 2020 MVP, and Dashy is living up to his ‘Bruce Wayne’ moniker with a heroic MVP campaign of his own, iLLeY presents a more nebulous figure to the average viewer. But during the return of ‘The Undertaker’ return at Major IV, Dashy was quick to address misconceptions: “It’s no secret that Inder is the heart and soul of our team. He leads us in-game, he keeps us all motivated, he keeps us on the right track, on the right mental state. It’s not something you can just replace. “A lot of people were thinking, ‘Oh, a one-player swap … we still got Ant, we still got Seth,’ but at the end of the day, if you miss your in-game leader and pretty much the core of how your team is running, it’s going to affect all of us. It affected me for a little bit.” That sentiment was corroborated by Shotzzy, who simply contended that “without Inder there is no team.” Returned from a thumb injury, iLLeY’s presence near-instantly helped OpTic finish fourth at Major IV – their highest placement since Major I. Asked about his health, he explained that he is at “100%,” but his principal focus is “getting the team on the same page and just doing what we do, getting better every day and becoming a unit again.” Dashy, conversely, was less humble about his teammate’s form: “He’s back now and he’s taking over and I’m super glad that my duo is back in form. He’s disgusting.” Dashy becoming “unstoppable” While Dashy heaped praise on iLLeY, it’s impossible to discuss OpTic’s march to the second seed without taking a moment to appreciate Big Bruce’s season. This year, Dashy has posted the league’s second-highest overall K/D (1.20) as OpTic’s premier gunner. That output may not surprise some, as the AR has always been known for some of the purest mechanics in CoD history. The difference, though, has come in his coordination with the team. Asked about Dashy’s presence, in light of the mindset questions that have consistently plagued his career, iLLeY returned the praise: “He’s always just mechanically gifted in honestly everything he does and this year, mechanics isn’t a problem, we’re basically just trying to be a unit with the intangibles that make a team win. And Brandon, from the start of the year until now, it’s just crazy progress in those intangibles and he’s literally going to be unstoppable… We’re going to be unstoppable.” All eyes on Champs OpTic’s AR duo is in fine form and their SMG duo can’t be discounted, either. Shotzzy, known as ‘The best POV in CoD’, has averaged a 1.06 K/D this season, and Scump, known simply as ‘The King’, a 1.02. At 27 years old, Scump’s form has been particularly fascinating this season. As Dashy explained, “it’s kind of insane to me how he gets better every year.” Putting it more simply, iLLeY elaborated that ‘The King’ is “aging like fine wine.” Although the individuals are noteworthy, OpTic’s attention has remained on the collective and their coalescence for CDL Champs. At Major IV, OpTic went 3-1 with two games going the distance to a Map 5. At Champs, they’ll hope to bounce back as the No. 2 seed against the Toronto Ultra in Winners Round 1. For those inclined to worry about the close calls and disappointing finish at Major IV, iLLeY was sure to dismiss concerns: “It was honestly just good … just getting the reps for Champs, which is what we’re trying to win. That’s what we’re practicing for.”

For Nadeshot and LA Thieves, Call of Duty world championship victory was long overdue – Dexerto
For Nadeshot and LA Thieves, Call of Duty world championship victory was long overdue Twitter: JamesMSellersOn August 7, the LA Thieves secured the first world championship for the 100 Thieves organization, a dominant display at the Call of Duty League Championship that saw the team win $1.2m and bring even more hardware to the Cash App Compound. For the team, the org, and owner Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, this victory was long overdue. Nadeshot is a name synonymous with Call of Duty, despite how long it’s been since he competed and created CoD content. His last appearance as a professional Call of Duty player was all the way back in March 2015 at the Advanced Warfare Call of Duty World Championships, where his OpTic Gaming team — heavily tipped to be dominant winners — came 7-8th, one of the biggest upsets in CoD history to that point. While Nadeshot had become the face of Call of Duty and one of the biggest names in esports with his popping Twitch stream and YouTube channel, he made the surprising decision to step down, giving OpTic the chance to pick up Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow and form their dynasty team, as well as help his content career take off even further. When Call of Duty fans speak of players that deserved to win a Champs ring, Nade might not be the first name on the list, but he’s almost always on the list somewhere. He won an X-Games gold medal and nine total championships as a Call of Duty pro, though the big one managed to evade him despite putting together what became one of the greatest rosters in CoD history alongside Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper. This victory lives far beyond just Nadeshot, though. The innate understanding that a Call of Duty world championship victory was not a luxury, but compulsory, was something that reverberated through the core of 100 Thieves throughout its entire existence, ever since the possibility of entering Call of Duty first arose. Those who were around pre-CDL will be familiar with the 100 Thieves team that was so clinical in Black Ops 4, that went back-to-back in London and Anaheim and became one of the greatest Call of Duty teams out there. They’ll also remember how they were beaten in the grand finals, by a team of young guns — including Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr, Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris, and Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson — who have gone on to become recognized as all-time greats, despite their age. They were formidable and they were hungry to prove themselves, and the World Championship loss will have been one that cut deeply for both the 100 Thieves players and the org. The following year, franchising happened, and 100 Thieves was no longer in the CoD League. The buy-in cost — reported to total around $25m — was something that Nadeshot couldn’t justify to his team and the 100 Thieves board, and so they bowed out. Before long, though, the itch was too great not to be scratched, and after a season out of action, LA Thieves entered the Call of Duty League, taking Immortals’ OpTic Gaming spot in Los Angeles. The team struggled in Cold War, and it felt wrong. A team owned by Nadeshot, so automatically rich in CoD heritage, was one that should be competing for championships with each and every outing. Everyone knew it, from the fans to the players, yet they spent over a year (seeping well into Vanguard) struggling to find their footing. There is undoubtedly more pressure to perform well under the Thieves banner, something the players were definitely aware of. This isn’t a Seattle Surge, or an OpTic Gaming LA, or even a Chicago Huntsmen, teams where LA Thieves’ players struggled to fulfill their potential. An organization owned by Nadeshot should always be at the forefront of Call of Duty, and that was realized at Champs. Of course, the org itself is no stranger to winning: They were LCS Spring champions in their inaugural split in League of Legends; they won the very first Valorant First Strike tournament when Riot released their FPS game; they have housed winning players and rosters in Fortnite and Warzone, with millions of dollars earned. But a Call of Duty world championship — while perhaps not the most celebrated title in esports — will be considered a true crowning moment for Nadeshot and co. It’s a trophy that Nadeshot has dreamt of lifting ever since the first Champs all the way back in 2013, and one they may well feel was snatched from between their fingers in 2019. Now, in 2022, they’ll feel that the trophy is finally right where it belongs.

Florida’s Crunch Time! CRAZY Upsets Inbound? CDL Preview – Dexerto
Florida’s Crunch Time! CRAZY Upsets Inbound? CDL Preview Activision Stage 4 is officially underway in the Call of Duty League, and Reverse Sweep hosts Katie Bedford, Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, and Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt look ahead to the second week of action with the Florida Mutineers Home Series. The OpTic Chicago Home Series saw some surprise results and some huge plays. This includes Florida themselves getting a huge win over Toronto Ultra, who are still vying for the top spot in the power rankings. Looking ahead to the key matchups and biggest storylines headed into Week 2 of Stage 4, here’s some of the key talking points from the Reverse Sweep CDL preview show. Florida Mutineers on the way up “Florida had a huge first week going 2-0,” Enable said. “I think this is a team that could potential get first or second in their group. I don’t think anyone would’ve had that happening.” Florida have always looked like a team with the potential to do some real damage, but have failed to live up to those expectations throughout the 2021 CDL season. With a big start in Stage 4, however, the tides could be turning for the Floridians, and it makes things even more exciting among the top teams. Crucial weekend for LA Thieves LA Thieves have definitely had a turbulent season thus far, going from one of the best to arguably the worst teams in the league. They find themselves moving towards the top half again, but the Florida Home Series will demand top performances from the Thieves. “LA Thieves are in a spot where they have to start playing well like they were before, simple as that,” explained Pacman. With matches against Paris Legion and Atlanta FaZe, a 1-1 record should be considered the minimum expectation. Players and teams to watch Ones to watch is one of the key features in every Reverse Sweep preview show, with the crew picking out exactly which players or teams need to perform the most in the week ahead. Enable says the pressure is on Mutineers SMG rookie Neptune, while Pacman picks out another rookie in LA Thieves’ Venom. These two haven’t yet had true breakout series’ for their team, but the Reverse Sweep hosts are looking for some game-changing plays out of them. Bold predictions: LAG turn things around?! As bold predictions go, Pacman predicting LA Guerrillas to go 2-0 against Dallas Empire and Florida Mutineers is definitely up there. As Pacman says, their matches have been close and “their teamwork has been good” since picking up Cheen. Enable’s not-so-bold prediction is that Florida also go 2-0 (vs LA Guerrillas and New York Subliners), while Katie says she expects London Royal Ravens rookie Afro to come out and help the team beat Toronto Ultra against all the odds. Florida Mutineers win CDL Dallas: final placements, highlights, recap – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers win CDL Dallas: final placements, highlights, recap CoD League – TwitterFlorida Mutineers claimed victory at the Dallas Empire Home Series on April 12, taking down Minnesota ROKKR 3-1 in the Grand Final to win their first-ever Call of Duty League event. After making it to the Grand Final and losing at the CDL Atlanta event in February, Mutineers got a chance at redemption in Dallas and fully seized the opportunity. Their road to victory wasn’t easy by any means; a day one loss to Toronto Ultra meant they had to win four elimination matches in a row, which they did, including an impressive 3-1 upset over Chicago Huntsmen in the semifinals. Florida will feel as though this victory dispels any doubts about their in-season decision to bring in F3rocitys in place of Prestinni, who has stepped away from competing for the time being. The championship effort earned them a massive 50 CDL points, keeping them in the top-five in the 2020 standings. ROKKR, who have now lost back-to-back Grand Final appearances, gained 30 points, and the top-four was rounded off by Empire and Huntsmen, who earned 20 points apiece. CDL Dallas Empire Home Series final placements CDL Dallas Grand Final recap & highlights Both coming off upset victories in the semifinal round, ROKKR and Mutineers began their Grand Final battle on Azhir Cave Hardpoint, which Minnesota took 250-241 thanks a late comeback and a nice triple-kill from SiLLY. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249488236298276867 Not wanting to let the series get out of hand early, Mutineers came out hot in the Search & Destroy on Picadilly, winning 6-2 to tie up the match at one map apiece. Florida’s offensive muscle really dictated this SnD, as shown in this relentless push that wiped out ROKKR’s defensive hold in round seven. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249491893421031424 Using their newfound momentum, Florida continued their recent streak of strong Domination performances with a 194-117 dismantling on St. Petrograd, which came on the back of their equally one-sided effort on the same mode against Huntsmen the round before. Whatever they’ve been doing in Dom has been working to perfection, and the map victory put them up 2-1 with a chance to close things out on Gun Runner Hardpoint. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249496566118973447 At this point, Mutineers were looking like the better side in this series, and with a chance to win it all in map four, they were never going to let Minnesota force a winner-take-all game five. Right from the first sequence, Florida looked flawless in their execution, and by the time the Hardpoint had reached its halfway point, their victory was a foregone conclusion. The finally tally read 250-115, a fitting end to what ended up being a pretty one-sided Grand Final. 🚨 BREAKING – @Mutineers are your #CDL2020 Dallas Empire Home Series champions! Florida Mutineers sign Slacked to complete their 2021 CDL roster – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers sign Slacked to complete their 2021 CDL roster CDL / Florida MutineersVeteran pro player Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry has officially joined the Call of Duty League’s Florida Mutineers for the 2021 season, solidifying a roster that had a gaping hole following the recent sudden passing of Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez. With the CDL’s second-ever season just around the corner, most of the teams already have a set starting lineup and substitutes in place for the upcoming campaign, with the Mutineers being one of the very few who hadn’t. The death of Fero certainly made their roster situation even more complicated, after two of last year’s starters – Frosty and Maux – had already departed the organization. Needing to fill the void, Florida have turned to Slacked, who was a free agent following his lone season with the Seattle Surge in 2020. “I’ll be joining the Mutineers ahead of the 2021 season,” the veteran tweeted. “I know I’ve got some big shoes to fill, I will do my absolute best to make Ferocitys and the Florida fans proud. I’m thankful for the opportunity to join the squad an ready to work my a** off for this season.” Florida Mutineers 2020 starting roster Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno – Cold ‘Havok’ McLendon – Joseph ‘Owakening’ Conley – Josiah ‘Slacked‘ Berry – Ricky ‘Atura’ Lugo (coach) – Ready for a new war.@CesarSkyz | @ColtHavok | @Owakening | @Slacked | @RickyAtura @f3rocitys your spirit lives on with the Mutineers. #F3arTheDeep pic.twitter.com/NtiEYp4LXW — Miami Heretics (@MiamiHeretics) December 7, 2020 Slacked entered free agency way back on September 4 after a disastrous season with the Surge where hardly anything went right; the team heavily underperformed and had very few positive results, despite featuring players with plenty of championship experience. After struggling to find a spot on a pro roster, the longtime competitor has joined a team that was one of the best in the CDL’s inaugural season. Mutineers were one of only two teams to win three Home Series tournaments in the inaugural season alongside Dallas Empire. The emergence of Skyz as an MVP-caliber player also has many rating the Mutineers as a side worth keeping an eye on in 2021, despite them falling short of expectations in the Playoffs. As he alluded to in his tweet, Slacked will have to fill the shoes of Fero, who established himself as one of the league’s more dynamic players. While maybe not considered a superstar, the former Luminosity standout brings a veteran presence, years of competitive experience, and game-changing potential to a fairly young lineup that could look to him for leadership. That’s not the only good news Florida announced on December 7; their highly thought-of head coach, Atura, revealed that he will be returning for another season as well: “It’s been an honor to coach this team and I’m excited to announce I’ll return as the Head Coach for the 2021 CDL season. This season’s for you F3.” Now that the Mutineers have their roster situation figured out and secured the return of their bonafide star coach, things are looking up again in Florida. Florida Mutineers reveal 2022 CDL roster after Neptune release – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers reveal 2022 CDL roster after Neptune release Twitter, @Mutineers / Call of Duty LeagueCall of Duty League dominos continue to fall ahead of the CDL 2022 season. And the Florida Mutineers, shortly after releasing Neptune, have announced their starting lineup and roster. Back on September 4, it was leaked that the New York Subliners were looking to acquire Florida’s upsurging submachine gunner Travis ‘Neptune’ McCloud. And many were confused, not expecting the Mutineers to part with a highly touted young piece. But, after Neptune talked about his issues with Florida’s core in late September, there was reason to expect a change. So it came as little surprise that the Mutineers released the SMG on October 6. Immediately after, they revealed that Challengers player David ‘Davpadie’ Maslowski would be taking his place. Neptune indicated that the team’s biggest issues surrounded chemistry, so it will be interesting to see if Davpadie is able to help in that regard. Having posted a number of top-five finishes in Challengers 2021, he may bring a winning mentality. Here’s how the Mutineers roster is expected to shape up for 2022: Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno – Joseph ‘Owakening’ Conley – Colt ‘Havok’ McLendon – David ‘Davpadie’ Maslowski – Christian ‘Yeez’ Faircloth (Substitute) – If you want to stay up to date on all CDL 2022 news, check out our Rostermania hub and our Twitter account: DexertoIntel.

Florida Mutineers announce full starting roster for inaugural CDL season – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers announce full starting roster for inaugural CDL season The Florida-based Call of Duty League franchise have announced the full starting roster for the Mutineers’ inaugural season, featuring World Champ Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson. Mistfits Gaming, owners of the Florida Mayhem in the Overwatch League and a spot in the League of Legends European Championship, are preparing to dive into the CDL with a player sheet filled exciting talent from esports. The Mutineers’ first foray into the CDL will be represented Bradley ‘Frosty’ Bergstrom, Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno, Chance ‘Maux’ Moncivaez, Colt ‘Havok’ McLendon and Prestinni. Former UYU and Elevate coach Ricky ‘Atura’ Lugo will captain the crew for the upcoming season. “Now it’s time to do it for Florida” The full announcement came packaged with preliminary storylines for new fans of the Mutineers to watch out for. For the first time in the primetime of their pro careers, twin brothers Prestinni and Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson will not be playing under the same banner – something the Mutineers took note of in their roster spotlight. “My brother and I won a championship together,” the video read as it highlighted Prestinni’s introduction. “Now it’s my turn to win one without him.” Arcitys will be playing with the Chicago Huntsmen in a star-studded lineup featuring Seth ‘Scump‘ Abner, Matthew ‘FormaL‘ Piper and more. Similarly, Havok and Maux are looking for a bit of redemption to their CoD careers: “I came second place twice. But if you’re not first you’re last.” When they were on Gen.G, the team looked nearly unstoppable for a good portion of the 2019 competitive season but they couldn’t etch out trophies at CWL Anaheim and the Pro League Playoffs. Now they’re teaming up once again to make an impact on the CDL landscape. Meanwhile, the team made no attempts at hiding the history between General Manager Tom ‘OGRE2’ Ryan and Frosty. “I cut OGRE2 from my team,” the video showed. “And now he wants me to play for him.” If anything its an introductory taste of the Mutineer spirit within the team now that the two-time Halo world champ will back up Prestinni under OGRE2’s management. “I was trained by the best, now my idols turn to rivals,” Skyz’s intro said. Atura is back to coaching Skyz as the Excelerate Gaming alums will be reunited in the CDL. Skyz is a young gun with a ton of raw talent, and it’ll be interesting to see if Atura can once again elevate the pro’s abilities. All of the teams in the league have already revealed the players they’ll field onto the CDL stage, with the Florida Mutineers being the last of the dozen to give their players a formal introduction. Call of Duty fans now have a complete look at who they’ll be rooting for in the upcoming season that kicks off with the January 24 Launch Weekend hosted by the Minnesota RØKKR.

Florida Mutineers confirm signing of Owakening to CDL roster – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers confirm signing of Owakening to CDL roster Florida MutineersThe Florida Mutineers have officially signed Joseph “Owakening” Conley, presumably to replace Chance “Maux” Moncivaez in their starting CDL lineup. In the days ahead of the Seattle Surge Home Series, the Mutineers have continued to revamp their roster. Florida went 4-1 in Call of Duty league matches for April before dropping to a disappointing 0-2 in May, proving the need for some lineup adjustments. Welcome to The Crew, @Owakening.#FearTheDeep #LetsGetKraken pic.twitter.com/cq72ch7ud6 — Miami Heretics (@MiamiHeretics) May 22, 2020 With Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson getting benched for Maurice “Fero” Henriquez, before being shipped off to the Chicago Huntsmen—Florida has remained active in adjusting their roster and changes to the starting lineup should have been expected. Just as Fero breathed life into the team when coming on to replace Prestinni, Owakening is hoped to do the same at the team’s main AR spot previously manned by Maux. While Maux had not stood out from the field in CDL play, Owakening has built a reputation for himself on Sixth Gear’s Challengers roster. Most recently, the 19-year-old beamer slammed the competition at the NA Challengers Cup #2 as part of a first-place WestR roster—before getting into pro scrims against teams like the Toronto Ultra, Minnesota Rokkr and Atlanta FaZe. Three years younger than Maux and fresh off of success in Challengers, Owakening may be enough to shift dynamics for what’s become an unimpressive Florida lineup. As seen with the New York Subliners’ acquisition of Makenzie “Mack” Kelley from the Hybrid Black Challengers roster, sometimes seemingly minor signings—even of those without substantial history at the professional level—can have major impacts on a team’s energy and success. Ahead of the Seattle weekend, Florida sits at fifth in the overall standings with a 9-8 overall record but a mediocre 32-36 in games played. They started the year 4-2 before dropping five of their next six, winning four straight with Fero and then getting swept in both matches at their last event. The team is, above all else, streaky and both their positive and negative streaks can be attributed in part to lineup upheaval. While the Mutineers will not be playing in this weekend’s Seattle series, they will be back on the menu at the Minnesota Rokkr Home Series in early June. This will, fortunately, give Owakening some time to gel with his new teammates and their fans some time to get a stronger sense of his playstyle from Challengers VODs and his Twitch stream.

Florida Mutineers bring back Havok to replace Slacked for CDL Stage 3 – Dexerto
Florida Mutineers bring back Havok to replace Slacked for CDL Stage 3 CDLThe Florida Mutineers have picked up Colt ‘Havok’ McLendon to replace benched veteran Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry going into Stage 3 of the 2021 Call of Duty League season. After a poor performance at the Stage 2 Major, which saw them lose in the second round to Seattle Surge, the Mutineers quietly revealed that Slacked, their last-second offseason pickup, would be removed from the starting lineup. While it was reported that the Mutineers were trialing several options, including the likes of Decemate and Yeez, they ultimately decided to promote Havok from the bench for Stage 3 and potentially beyond. Florida have been struggling in the opening two Stages of this CDL season, showing glimmers of brilliance but never quite getting the results needed to show what they’re all about. They’ve failed to secure a Winners Bracket spot for either of the two Majors so far, resulting in early losses that saw them finish 7/8th in the first tournament before an even-worse 9/10th placement in the S2 Major. Statistically, Slacked wasn’t putting up the same numbers as his teammates, and this could be what led them to make the decision to move him to the bench. His 0.91 K/D was second-worst in the league among eligible players, only beating out Parasite, who was a stand-in for the Royal Ravens. Florida and LA franchises for Call of Duty league announced – Dexerto
Florida and LA franchises for Call of Duty league announced The eighth and ninth spots for the inaugural season of the franchised Call of Duty league have been confirmed, acquired by Misfits Gaming and Kroenke Esports & Entertainment, who will represent the Florida and second LA franchises respectively. Activision first revealed that the eighth spot had been sold for the league in their latest earnings call, but kept the location and owner under wraps. On August 20, Misfits confirmed that they had purchased the Florida spot, which was unsurprising really, given they already own Florida Mayhem in Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League. Misfits explained that their experience with the Overwatch League and Activision Blizzard was part of their decision to expand into the Call of Duty league, and said that their experience in the “franchise model” give them a “huge advantage”. Kroenke Esports & Entertainment, holding company for NFL team Los Angeles Rams and Premier League side Arsenal, have acquired the second Los Angeles spot. Like Misfits, the firm also owns an Overwatch League team, in the LA Gladiators. OpTic Gaming, and their parent company Immortals Gaming Club, acquired the other LA spot, meaning there will be a city rivalry just like the Overwatch League. The Call of Duty league’s commissioner, Johanna Fairies, said: “Both ownership groups have a shared commitment to the growth of esports and building professional teams in their markets that home fans can be proud of and rally behind in the new city-based format.” There are now a total of nine spots confirmed: New York, Paris, Dallas, Toronto, Atlanta, Minnesota, Florida and the two Los Angeles brands. What is the franchised Call of Duty league? Having first implemented the franchise system for their other big esport title with the Overwatch League, Activision are now transforming the decade-old Call of Duty esport into a fully-fledged franchise league too. The league will use city-based brands, meaning the renowned organizations like OpTic Gaming, Team Envy and FaZe Clan will be no more, at least officially. Exact naming rules haven’t been announced publicly yet, but it is expected that all new team names and branding will be created A leaked deck obtained by Dexerto revealed more details about the upcoming league, including roster sizes, minimum salaries and more, but Activision say the details are still being ironed out. Although it is set to bring more stability to Call of Duty esports, there are concerns about how the franchise system may affect the amateur scene, and whether it will be able to live up to the hype of open events, which have been a mainstay of competitive CoD since its inception. The league is set to begin in 2020, and will be played on the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, set for release on October 25.

Florida CoD franchise name & logo potentially found in trademark filing – Dexerto
Florida CoD franchise name & logo potentially found in trademark filing Disney / Florida CoDThe branding of the Call of Duty franchise that’s based in Florida has apparently been found in a recently filed trademark application, including the team’s name and logo. With Call of Duty esports transitioning to a franchised model starting from the 2020 season, the 12 confirmed organizations have understandably been very busy putting together their teams for the inaugural campaign. However, while several player and coach signings have already been announced, one thing that none of the franchises have done yet is reveal their official team branding. That said, some with an investigative feel for things have realized that looking for official trademark filings in public records could potentially reveal the names of some teams. Read More: Paris CoD announces 7 player roster – As a result, using that method, it’s been discovered that the Florida Call of Duty franchise will potentially be called Florida Mutineers, with their logo being some sort of beast with tentacles protruding from its face. This trademark application was found filed with EUIPO – the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The goods and services it was filed for include “computer programs for video and computer games, jewellery and time instruments, printed matter, backpacks and luggage, clothing and headgear, video game appartus, and entertainment services,” among many other things. There are two things that connect this application with Misfits Gaming, the parent company who owns the Florida Call of Duty franchise. Firstly, it was filed by a company that has the same address as Florida Mayhem, the Overwatch League team owned by Misfits. (credit @byadamfitch) Secondly, and perhaps even more of an indication, is the fact that the two authorized persons listed on the filing, managers Mitchell Rubenstein and Laurie Silvers, are two people with whom Ben Spoont founded Misfits, according to the organization’s own website. (credit @iSpoonz_) There’s 2 companies, Esports Now LLC and Esports Play LLC also registered at the same address, and the authorised persons listed are founders of Misfits pic.twitter.com/xcZJjPmALA — Spoonz (@iSpoonz_) October 4, 2019 This name and logo would certainly make sense for this particular franchise, since they both are pirate-themed, and Florida is relatively close to the Caribbean, which was once a hub for the miscreants of the seas. Mutineers is based on the word mutiny, which was very common in the older days of piracy, while the logo, many have noticed, closely resembles Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean film series, the fearsome looking pirate who was crowned the “supernatural rule of the Seven Seas.” It’s worth noting, however, that this information does not 100% confirm that Florida CoD will be called the Mutineers, and that the image above will be their logo, despite being found in an official filing. Envy Gaming CEO Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail, when responding to his Dallas CoD franchise’s name being leaked in the same manner, mentioned how they had filed “several names, domains, and branding assets,” in addition to the one that had been found. If that holds true for Misfits as well, then this may end up not being a part of their official branding once everything is said and done.

Florida Call of Duty franchise unveils Mutineers branding – Dexerto
Florida Call of Duty franchise unveils Mutineers branding The Flordia-based franchise which will compete in the 2020 Call of Duty League has officially announced that they will be called ‘Florida Mutineers’ and given fans a first look at their brand new logo. The inaugural CDL season is officially set to kick off in 2020, with 12 teams competing in the first franchised format in the history of the popular console esport. Each team is based in a city somewhere in North America and Europe, and the Florida franchise has become the latest organization to announce their name and logo, unveiling the Florida Mutineers branding in an announcement on Monday, October 28. The team, which is operated by Misfits Gaming, says that they are inspired by the “history of pirates off the Flordia coast,” and much like the swashbuckling scoundrels of old, the team is “relentless, unapologetic, determined and always play their own way in pursuit of victory. “You might picture sunshine and oranges when you think of Flordia, but we like to look at things differently,” the team writes on the official CDL website. “The people of Florida forge their own patch, we are determined, adventurous and value community above all things.” The team’s logo looks similar to the iconic Davy Jones character from the Pirates of the Carribean franchise, which was based on the superstition of Davy Jones’ Locker, another term for the bottom of the ocean where ships would end up if they were to sink. The team makes use of teal and orange as their primary colors, and will be using ‘Fear the Deep’ as their mantra throughout their CDL campaign. Florida Mutineers have become the eighth team to unveil their branding, following on from Toronto Ultras and New York Subliners who showed off their new names and logos last week. Only Seattle, Chicago, Minnesota and Paris have yet to reveal their official names. While the Misfits-owned team has announced their branding, they have yet to confirm the acquisition of any players, although a clue at the end of their announcement video which reads “Stay tuned,” may be a hint that announcements about their final lineup will arrive soon. Flight Taking Spanish CoD Teams to CWL Last Chance Qualifiers Gets Cancelled Last Minute Several Spanish players have reported that their flight to Columbus, OH for the CWL Last Chance Qualifier has received a last minute cancellation. With just one day before the event is scheduled to take place, the players for Team Heretics and the coach of Vodafone Giants find themselves at risk of missing out. The news first broke out when Heretics player ‘Methodz’ tweeted out from the JFK Airport in New York that their connecting flight to Columbus had been cancelled. Flight from NYC to Columbus cancelled, and the funny thing is that I put one for the next day from another airport called “La Guardia” I’m busting my balls. Five ways to improve Blackout post-launch – Dexerto
Five ways to improve Blackout post-launch Blackout has taken the Call of Duty community by storm since Black Ops 4 dropped on October 12, but there are still some ways Treyarch can improve the game mode. The success of Blackout has been one of the driving forces of the popularity of Black Ops 4 in the days since launch, with any popular streamers such as Dr Disrespect and Shroud, dedicating all of their time to the game. The game has been so popular, in fact, that it catapulted to the top of Twitch with almost 30 million hours watched between October 11 and 17. If that wasn’t good enough, Black Ops 4 also generated a whopping $500 million in revenue during its first three days on the market alone. Despite the incredible amounts of success the game has seen, there is still plenty of work to be done in order to keep the hype train going, especially as far as Blackout is concerned. We’ve put together five of the biggest areas we’d love to see Treyarch make some changes to now that we’ve had our hands on the game for a week. 1. Tweak the effectiveness of 9-Bangs While 9-Bangs doesn’t need to be removed from the game altogether, shortening the time and intensity of the stun would be a good place to start with tweaking the utility item. 2. Better inventory management on console In a game like Blackout where death is a constant worry, being able to quickly manage your items is imperative to success. Treyarch has already talked about changes to the Quick Menu system on console, but they can take a step further by bringing in the grid system from console to make the looting process less of a headache. 3. Improve footstep audio Right now, though, the audio of footsteps tends to be a bit inconsistent, leading to plenty of frustration. There’s nothing worse than hearing footsteps and not knowing whether it’s coming from above, beside, or behind you, leading to your untimely death. Making sure that audio is on point in Blackout should be near the top of the list for Treyarch moving forward. 4. Create a more dynamic victory screen Including the killcam or adding in more dynamic graphics to make that final screen more satisfactory will go a long way to making this mode feel as complete as possible. 5. Patch out movement glitches discover the glitch and it gained tremendous traction in the days since his discovery. It looks like the glitch, which involves rebinding the jump key to allow players the ability to manually deploy the wingsuit, can only be done on PC, but that hasn’t stopped many utilizing the glitch to gain an upper hand on their opponents. Treyarch has remained adamant that stopping players from gaining unfair advantages is a high priority for them, so fixes for this exploit could be on the way sooner rather than later.

5 underrated CoD maps we want added to Modern Warfare – Dexerto
5 underrated CoD maps we want added to Modern Warfare With maps being one of the key talking points since Modern Warfare‘s release, we’ve made five picks for underrated and less well-known maps we’d love to see in Infinity Ward’s latest CoD installment. With Modern Warfare releasing on October 25, fans have had a few weeks to share their initial opinions on Modern Warfare. Admittedly, feedback to maps has generally been negative, with many pro players and content creators criticizing the abundance of lanes and angles, arguing they are too complex and open. Leaks have suggested some fan-favorite maps will soon make their way into Modern Warfare, seemingly to alleviate some of the community backlash. Maps suggested to be returning soon include Crash and Vacant from 2007’s Modern Warfare, as well as Rust and Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2. While unconfirmed, fans are excited at the prospect of many older maps returning, thanks to their proven success in a Call of Duty game. Here, we make five picks of maps (in no particular order) that are generally underrated or overlooked, and haven’t been remade often (or at all) before, but that we think would fit into Modern Warfare based on how the games looks, feels and plays. Skidrow – Modern Warfare 2 Skidrow is a medium-sized map that featured in Modern Warfare 2. Its bleak setting in an abandoned town would fit well with Modern Warfare’s desolate environments. Read More: Top 10 CoD Maps of all time – The narrow alleyways would provide some variety from Modern Warfare’s overly-open maps, offering some much-needed clarity as to where players are likely to be shot from. Finally, the simple verticality of Skidrow contrasts with the style of many Modern Warfare maps, in which a number of levels complicate the complex map designs. Strikezone – Ghosts 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts is not remembered particularly fondly for its multiplayer maps, with many being criticized for being overly large, such as the insanely oversized Stonehaven. However, Strikezone was a rose among thorns on Ghosts, utilizing a small environment set inside a deserted baseball stadium. It played very quickly, but retained a number of medium-ranged lanes, enabling different play styles to prosper simultaneously. Finally, it’s limited angles and abundant cover would offer a welcome change of pace from Modern Warfare’s frequently exposed environments. Underground – Modern Warfare 3 Underground made excellent use of a small setting in London, weaving in and out of the famous ‘tube’ system and a train station. One of the best maps in Modern Warfare 3, Underground is often forgotten as a result of maps such as Dome and Terminal. However, this map was the epitome of organized chaos, with players finding a unique setting for their gunfights; down train carriages or across railway bridges. It would add some much-needed variety to the dull, atypical settings Modern Warfare frequents, such as desert towns and warehouses, which have been done to death in prior CoD games. Favela – Modern Warfare 2 Many CoD fans have jokingly compared Modern Warfare maps to Favela – except you can access every single building in Favela. The small to medium-sized map, set around the famous city of Rio de Janeiro, saw players restricted to rooftops and a few of the buildings that feature on the map. It would add some color and vibrancy to the maps on Modern Warfare, which have a frustrating overlay of greys and browns. While remembered fondly by CoD fans, it was often overshadowed by the likes of Rust, Terminal and Highrise. Hence, it makes our list of underrated and overlooked maps that would improve Modern Warfare. Hardhat – Modern Warfare 3 Hardhat rounds off our picks of the five overlooked maps we want to see added to Modern Warfare. It made the most of a small construction site set in New York, USA. Offering versatility in terms of the gunfights that could be engaged in, the map was one of Modern Warfare 3’s best. It also utilized creative environments that made the most of the building work on the map. It would fit into Modern Warfare’s design, and compliment a number of different play styles, including SMGs, which many feel are being left behind in the current state of Modern Warfare. That rounds off our list of five overlooked and underrated maps we think would improve Modern Warfare’s multiplayer. Which overlooked and overrated maps do you want to see added? Tweet us @DexertoIntel to let us know your thoughts!

Five Things We Want to Learn About During the CoD: Black Ops 4 Reveal Event – Dexerto
Five Things We Want to Learn About During the CoD: Black Ops 4 Reveal Event The announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on March 8th confirmed the whirlwind of rumors that the fourth game in the popular Black Ops series would grace the storied CoD series as its next title. The vast player-base has since waiting in anticipation of the Community Reveal Event that is set to take place on May 17th, with the game due to be released on October 12th. With numerous rumors, leaks, and hints surfacing since the announcement, there seem to be countless questions about the game that need to be answered. The Community Reveal Event will present developer Treyarch and publisher Activision the chance to reveal major details about the game for the first time. That being said, here are five things that we would like to learn about during the Black Ops 4 Community Reveal Event on May 17th. Single-Player Campaign Every single Call of Duty title has featured a single-player campaign mode, many of them featuring memorable moments and legendary characters. However, numerous sources have come out and said that CoD: Black Ops 4 will not feature such a mode. It would be very interesting to find out if these reports are true, and if so, then what are the reasons behind such a major and sudden decision. Multiplayer Game Modes In their recent financial call, the executives from Activision mentioned that Treyarch have been hard at work developing innovative mutliplayer game modes that will bring novelties to CoD that haven’t been seen before. Does that mean that brand new game modes and/or integral changes to existing and familiar modes are coming to Black Ops 4? Also, could this be a reference to the introduction of a Battle Royale mode that has been heavily suggested by numerous reports and leaks? In-game Movement Mechanics In-game movement mechanics will most likely be a heavy point of focus and emphasis during the Reveal Event. The three year spell of the ‘Jetpack Era’ of Call of Duty was brought to an end with the more traditional, boots-on-the-ground style of the current WWII title, which has received its share of mixed reviews. What kind of movement system will Black Ops 4 feature, and how will it work towards fixing the movement mistakes of previous titles? Perks System and Scorestreaks The introduction of Divisions in CoD: WWII represented a major overhaul to the more classical perks systems that players have grown familiar with over the years. Many in the community have expressed their desire for the return of the traditional ‘Pick-10’ perks system, something which Treyarch have cryptically hinted at in a previously tweeted image. Furthermore, it will be worth seeing which, if any, of the scorestreaks are introduced during the Reveal event, as that has been another aspect of Call of Duty which players want to see revamped after recent titles. Maps Maybe the most important aspect of Call of Duty multiplayer, maps require delicate balance and intricate design that is hard to perfect but easy to mess up. Traditionally, the Black Ops series has produced some of the most iconic maps in the CoD franchise. Fans and players will hope that this trend will continue with the next title, and will look forward to seeing a glimpse of some of the maps on May 17th.

Five Things We Learned from Day One of the 2018 CWL Championship – Dexerto
Five Things We Learned from Day One of the 2018 CWL Championship Day one of the 2018 CWL Championship is in the books, and already it’s producing the excitement worthy of a world championship. Every team played at least one of their three group stage matches, while teams in Groups A to D played two. There is plenty to still be decided on the second day of the group stage, but already the tournament is beginning to take shape. Here’s a look at what we learned from the first matches of WWII’s final event. Upsets Abound on Day One One of the most notable aspects of the first day of the CWL Championship was the number of upsets that came through. The CWL Championship is an event like no other, the biggest and most prestigious tournament on the circuit. The pressure of playing on such a stage always produces some surprising results, but the first day of this year’s event was particularly unpredictable. Teams in Groups A to D played two of their three group stage matches, and in all of those pools a CWL Pro League team is currently on track to miss out on a playoff spot. Tainted Minds is the only Pro League team guaranteed to go out in groups, but Epsilon is almost certain to join them, while either eUnited or Splyce will go home following their head-to-head match. Mindfreak must defeat Ghost Gaming in their final match in order to avoid elimination. On the flip side, two Last Chance Qualifier teams – Team Sween in Group D, and either Lightning Pandas or Heretics in Group A – are guaranteed to take a top seed into the playoffs. Only one day has passed, but already it’s hard to imagine anyone will have predicted the bracket correctly. Team Kaliber is Vulnerable Coming off of a big win at CWL Pro League Stage 2, Team Kaliber were a clear favorite for the CWL Championship. On the very first day of the event, however, they found themselves fighting for survival. An early loss to Lightning Pandas put the team on the back foot, taking the chance to secure the top seed out of their hands. It was in their second series though, against Heretics, that things really got worrying for tK. It took five games for them to secure a series in which a loss would have meant elimination from the tournament. Team Kaliber isn’t safe yet. Their final match against Epsilon will decide their fate, needing a win to reach the playoffs, and at least a 3-1 win to guarantee it. While such a result might seem likely given Epsilon’s poor performance so far, Team Kaliber cannot take the top seed into the playoffs, and their showing so far has to be of some concern. Prior to the Stage 2 Playoffs they weren’t looking like a championship-winning squad, and though they certainly have the potential to defeat any challenger, they won’t get any more opportunities to slip up if they hope to become World Champions. The Bracket of Death Approaches? There are still plenty of placements to be confirmed on the second day, but already we’re starting to see how the playoff bracket might shape up – and it’s looking intense. Assuming Rise Nation and Red Reserve continue their dominant form and secure top seeds, and Team Kaliber and eUnited survive their respective groups to secure the second seeds, then all four teams – the top four finishers at the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs – would be on the same side of the bracket. Though they’ve only played one series, Luminosity’s convincing win over Echo Fox makes them a strong candidate to take the top spot in their group. If they did so, they too would fall into that side of the bracket. Likewise, CWL Anaheim top-four finishers and CWL Pro League Stage 2 top-six finishers UNILAD could end up on this same side of the bracket if they win out in their group. A lot of results still have to come in and a lot could change, but there is a very feasible outcome developing in which almost all of the event favorites could end up in the same side of the playoff bracket. The beneficiaries of such an outcome would undoubtedly be OpTic Gaming, who would be on the opposite side if they top their own group. The defending World Champions could hypothetically face a clear run to the winner bracket finals before having to face one of the event’s big favorites. Lightning Pandas a Dark Horse? After an underwhelming performance at the Last Chance Qualifier, Lightning Pandas didn’t look primed for a deep run at the CWL Championship. This is a squad of storied veterans, however – including a two-time WWII champion in Dylan ‘Theory’ McGee – and on the first day of the event they came out hot. A win over CWL Stage 2 Champions, and Theory’s former squad, Team Kaliber, along with a victory against Heretics puts Lightning Pandas primed to secure the top seed going into the playoffs. Assuming Lightning Pandas do top their group, they would be placed in what looks to be shaping up as the softer side of the bracket, liking facing Lethal Gaming in the first round. Just like that, Lightning Pandas appears primed for a deeper run in this event than might have been expected of them. If they can take down the most recent major champions, it’s entirely feasible that Lightning Pandas can threaten almost any team in this competition. One upset does not a strong placement make, but this is certainly a team with the potential to further complicate things for the tournament favorites. Team Sween Come Out Swinging Similarly to Lightning Pandas, Team Sween entered the tournament off of an unexceptional Last Chance Qualifier performance and to relatively low expectations. At the end of the first day, however, Team Sween has guaranteed the top spot in Group D, having defeated both Splyce and eUnited. One of the two Pro League teams will be going home early as a result. Like Lightning Pandas, Sween stands to claim what could well be the more favorable side of the bracket as reward for slaying the higher seeds. They are set to face either Mindfreak or Ghost Gaming in the first round, in either case a beatable opponent for a team that has already taken some major scalps.

Five teams earn trips to CWL Vegas through EU’s Black Ops 4 National Qualifier – Dexerto
Five teams earn trips to CWL Vegas through EU’s Black Ops 4 National Qualifier The European regional National Qualifier tournaments are in the books and five teams have punched their ticket to CWL Vegas on December 7. Separate tournaments took place in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the U.K., with each winner getting travel expenses covered for CWL Vegas – as well as a spot in the Open Bracket. iDomina picked up where they left off in WW2 and won the Italian qualifier. The organization won a trip to the Last Chance Qualifier during WW2, but were forced to miss out on the event after running into visa issues with their players. Representing Germany will be tommyahrelite, a team led by Sharko, Cookie and Piero. The trio were a common sight in the later rounds of the open brackets during WW2, with top 40 placings at CWL Anaheim and Seattle, as well as a top 32 finish at CWL Birmingham. https://twitter.com/TeamHereticsOver in Spain, Heretics KFC defeated their rivals Movistar Riders in the final to punch their ticket to Vegas. Heretics placed top 24 at CoD Champs last season, losing close map fives to Team Kaliber and Lightning Pandas to narrowly miss out on advancing to the knockout stage. Wailers and his new team won the French qualifier, taking out Supremacy in the final. Finally, Team Sween won the U.K circuit to grab the final spot out of EU. Team Sween was already expected to be at CWL Vegas as they currently hold the last spot for the play-in tournament that will determine the last four pool play spots. These five EU teams will join APAC National Circuit winners Rush Gaming and Team Obsidium. CWL Vegas begins on December 7 and will be the first open of the Black Ops 4 season.

Five Modern Warfare 2 maps we want to see remade in CoD 2022 – Dexerto
Five Modern Warfare 2 maps we want to see remade in CoD 2022 ActivisionModern Warfare 2 is one of, if not the most beloved entry in the Call of Duty series, due in no small part to its iconic maps. With CoD 2022 all but confirmed to be MW2, here are the five maps we’re dying to see make a comeback. We’re still waiting for an official reveal, but CoD 2022 is expected to be titled Modern Warfare 2, a follow-up to the 2019 reboot of the iconic sub-series. Infinity Ward is leading the development, meaning that expectations are extremely high. The original Modern Warfare 2 is the stuff of legend among the CoD community, and players will be hoping the team can recapture that magic. MW2’s maps were a huge part of what made the game special, and this is the perfect time to bring some of the best back into the limelight. With that in mind, here are the five Modern Warfare 2 maps we want to see in this year’s Call of Duty. 5. Wasteland As the CoD franchise has moved on, we see fewer and fewer maps built purely with sniping in mind. Wasteland’s murky open spaces practically forced players to become a ghillie in the mist and embrace long-range combat. Its inclusion in CoD 2022 would make for a refreshing change of pace from the frantic action that has become the series’ trademark. Matches on Wasteland were slow, tense affairs, as players debated whether to break cover and run through no man’s land or stay hidden on the outskirts. The underground bunker in the center of the map offered up a small dose of close-quarters gameplay, but this map was really about testing a sniper’s mettle. It provided a totally unique CoD experience that hasn’t been captured since, and it’s high time we see it return. 4. Terminal Not only was Terminal the setting for Modern Warfare 2’s most infamous mission, it quickly became one of its most popular multiplayer maps too. While we did see a futuristic revamp in 2016’s Infinite Warfare, it’s a crime that it’s been this long without it making a real comeback. In terms of CoD maps, it has everything you could possibly want. Plenty of cover for tense shootouts? Check. An explorable plane with narrow seats to hide behind? Check. Burger Town? Check. We can still feel the fear of a rouge Semtex landing next to you in the cockpit. This arena really delivered on the promise of an airport shootout, and it has quite rightly become a source of nostalgia for fans. It’s hard to imagine a Modern Warfare 2 game without Terminal on the rotation. 3. Estate Despite such a simple premise – a house sat on a hill – there was something special about Estate. It suits every player, whether you’re run and gunner, or someone who prefers to kick back with an Intervention. This balance of both playstyles meant you never know what sort of match you’re dropping into on Estate. It could be a lowkey war of well-placed sniper shots, or a mad scramble to seize and hold the house. Large open spaces and small windows make it another sniper’s paradise for sure. But those intense battles for control of the cabin overlooking the map make for some of the most chaotic and memorable firefights in the entire game. 2. Favela Modern Warfare 2’s maps had a way of transporting you to another place better than any other game in the series. Nowhere is this more on display than with Favela, which lets players take to the slums of Rio De Janerio in the shadow of Christ the Redeemer. Although the map is fairly large, the narrow streets and density of the buildings led to close quarters fights time and time again. But if that isn’t your bag, you can quickly head to the rooftops for more long-range shootouts. The CoD series has had many attempts at recreating the success of Favela, but none have struck the balance so perfectly. We think it’s time to bask in the South American sun once again in 2022. 1. Highrise On the face of it, Highrise looks pretty unremarkable. A pair of offices separated by a raised helipad and a huge crane certainly doesn’t have the wow factor that some of the other maps on this list have. But what it lacks it in an obvious hook, it makes up for it with the most balanced and perfectly poised gameplay of any map Modern Warfare 2 has to offer. The two lanes on either side, as well as the crane, are ideal for flexing your sniping muscles. But the small offices and hotly-contested area around the parked helicopter mean any weapon is viable here. Above all else, this is a throwback to the golden age of the franchise, and some of the old camping spots found here will have long-time fans feeling like a kid again. Nostalgia alone would make a Highrise remake an instant hit with the fans, and it’s our number hope for CoD 2022. Those were our picks for the top five maps we want to see in Modern Warfare 2 this year, be sure to let us know which ones you want to see on socials. Five Modern Warfare 2 maps confirmed including F1 Grand Prix racetrack – Dexerto
Five Modern Warfare 2 maps confirmed including F1 Grand Prix racetrack The first bunch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maps have been confirmed by Infinity Ward, including a Grand Prix Formula 1 track in Asia and Spanish Museum. The number of maps each Call of Duty game starts with is always a big talking point. Vanguard launched with 16 traditional Multiplayer maps after Black Ops: Cold War only initially launched with eight-core 6v6 maps. Eventually, Black Ops Cold War went on to receive 37 total Multiplayer maps, but the perception of the launch can make or break a title. While the final number of launch maps is not known for MW2, details on the first five have been revealed – across three different bands of map size. Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer map details During an early access event, Charlie Intel – a Dexerto sister website – was shown some gameplay footage, and was able to get hands-on with Modern Warfare 2. Maps have been split into three categories this year, which include: Large Battle Maps, Battle Maps, and Core Maps. How these are used will vary, from Ground War to other MP modes. Infinity Ward teased two Battle Maps that are essentially improved upon Ground War-style maps that were introduced in Modern Warfare 2019. The first, Sa’id, is an urban combat map that combines the core Multiplayer experience with a sandbox experience akin to what you see in Battlefield. Sariff Bay was the other teased and it takes place in a fishing village. The Bay embraces the sandbox style of gameplay and is a showcase for the new water and swimming mechanics coming to Modern Warfare 2. 6v6 maps in MW2 Three core 6v6 maps were shown off as well. Museum is a semi-traditional four-lane map set in Spain, Grand Prix takes place in the center of a Formula 1 race track in Asia, and Farm 18 Training Facility is based at an undisclosed location. Ever since the release of Warzone, Multiplayer seems to have taken a backseat for many players — but it will be interesting to see if Modern Warfare 2 marks a return to form for CoD’s original claim to fame. Five classic Infinity Ward weapons Modern Warfare 2 needs to add – Dexerto
Five classic Infinity Ward weapons Modern Warfare 2 needs to add ActivisionWith Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 becoming the latest Infinity Ward title to grace the storied FPS franchise, we’re taking a look at five classic CoD weapons that need to make a return in the 2022 installment. A strong and balanced weapon pool is integral to any strong Call of Duty. For Modern Warfare 2, thanks to leaks and the multiplayer beta, we have some idea of the weapons to expect when the full game launches on October 28. However, there’s always scope for classics of the series to return. We know, for example, that Modern Warfare 2’s first season will bring two classic CoD maps back. As such, we’ve picked five classic Infinity Ward weapons we want to see in Modern Warfare 2, whether in from launch or dropping late via DLC. Naturally, we’re taking a few liberties with realism as we go and have tried to vary our picks from the most obvious (like the ACR and MP7). 1. Remington R5 (Ghosts) This first one is a weapon that the community has already requested, with one Redditor calling for the Remington R5 to make a return in MW2. The CoD: Ghosts assault rifle was high damage, incredibly quick to drop enemies, and even boasted a unique reload animation. 2. G36C (Modern Warfare) Only real Call of Duty OGs will remember the G36C from 2007’s Modern Warfare. It thrived at medium ranges, with decent handling and modest recoil balancing out unspectacular damage. It did return in Modern Warfare Remastered and could be made in the gunsmith in Modern Warfare 2019 but, in terms of true revival, we’d love to see it happen in MW2. 3. TAR-21 (Modern Warfare 2) The original Modern Warfare 2 featured some truly memorable weapons and we’ve opted for the TAR-21 to make a return in the new MW2. Its high fire rate and decent damage meant it killed very quickly, even if volatile recoil made hitting shots slightly trickier. It’d fit right into this year’s game. 4. Karma-45 (Infinite Warfare) The Karma-45 wasn’t the strongest SMG in Infinite Warfare but its high fire rate and large, dual-magazines made it a unique pocket rocket. Similar in looks to the classic Vector SMG, its double-barrel sets it apart. We’d love to see this back in MW2. 5. MSR (Modern Warfare 3) Last but certainly not least is the Remington MSR from MW3, better known as just the MSR. Incredibly high damage and made this plenty of players’ go-to sniper rifle in the 2011 title. We’ve not had much of a look at Modern Warfare 2’s sniper rifles but this behemoth would be welcomed back by the community if Infinity Ward ever chooses to bring it back. That rounds off our list of Infinity Ward weapons we want to see return. You can check out every confirmed Modern Warfare 2 weapon here.

Five things we learned from CWL London – 100 Thieves, TJHaLy, and more – Dexerto
Five things we learned from CWL London – 100 Thieves, TJHaLy, and more OpTicUpdate – Twitter / 100 Thieves – TwitterWith CWL London now having wrapped up, it’s time to look back at some of the major things we learned from the $325,000 pro Call of Duty tournament. With CWL London being the first major event of the season to be played in the UK, many fans had high expectations going into the May 3-5 weekend. The tournament certainly didn’t disappoint, and perhaps it was fitting that 100 Thieves were the ones crowned champions, securing their first major tournament victory as an esports organization. However, the major storylines go beyond just 100T and their major accomplishment; there was a lot to be picked up from the three intense days of competitive CoD action. That being said, here are the five of the biggest things we learned from CWL London. 100 Thieves may be the best team in the CWL It’s always a bold statement to call another CoD team the best when OpTic Gaming are very much relevant in the conversation. However, it would be hard to argue against 100 Thieves currently being the best team in the CWL. Aside from winning CWL London rather convincingly, their 8-3 record is the best in Division B of the Pro League, and if it weren’t for Priestahh falling ill at CWL Fort Worth, we could be looking at 100T being back-to-back champions. TJHaLy proves his haters wrong 600After OpTic Gaming’s underwhelming 9-12 placing at CWL Fort Worth, many faulted Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly’s performances, some even calling OpTic to drop their young star. OG, of course, ended up sticking with TJ, and had their faith rewarded with a multitude of stellar showings at CWL London, which has caused a lot of his haters to suddenly be awfully quiet. He was seventh in Search and Destroy K/D with 1.479, fifth in Control with 1.214, and his 1.090 K/D across all three game modes was ranked fifth best overall. eUnited are a top-three team Those who may not have though of eUnited as a top-three team in the CWL should be doing so now, after yet another strong performances from them at a major event. eUnited are the only team in the CWL to have appeared in the Grand Final of a major tournament more than once this season, and they’ve just had the bad luck of matching up against the only two teams that are probably better than them – OpTic and 100T. All that, on top of the fact that their 8-3 record is tied with 100T for tops in Division B of the Pro League, strongly suggests that they should be considered among the top three CWL teams. Luminosity still have major issues When Luminosity Gaming surprised some by winning CWL Fort Worth, a lot of the issues that they had in the Pro League leading up to the event were pretty much forgotten. Unfortunately for LG and their fans, those issues returned in a big way at CWL London, as the team went 0-3 to finish dead last in Pool B, and ultimately went out in the third round of the Losers Bracket, securing an underwhelming 7-8 placing. Having this latest poor showing in the back of their minds, could LG be due for a roster change in the third and final RosterMania period coming up next month? Crowds at UK events are just built differently One final shoutout to the CWL London crowd. Confirmed Dexerto MVP winner. (Via @LewTeeCoD) pic.twitter.com/I0oGXTsbQm — DEXERTO @ CWL London (@DexertoIntel) May 5, 2019 CWL London was just the latest of numerous major CoD tournaments held in the UK where the fans just captured the headlines much more so than their US based counterparts. Whether it was the spontaneous breakouts of massive uncensored chants, Team Reciprocity’s Tommey leading the crowd in a war cry about LG being “shit,” or the entirety of the audience singing Sweet Caroline in unison, there is no longer any doubt that crowds at UK events are just built differently.

Five more 80s Action Heroes we want to see in Warzone: Scarface, Terminator, more – Dexerto
Five more 80s Action Heroes we want to see in Warzone: Scarface, Terminator, more 20th Century Fox / Cannon FilmsWith Warzone Season 3 taking us back in time to Verdansk ‘84, the door for 80s themed crossovers has been blown wide open. We’ve already got Rambo and John McClane in the Call of Duty battle royale, but here’s who we want to see next. With Warzone’s second year taking us back to Verdansk ‘84, Activision has lined up a number of timely crossovers to celebrate. Rambo and John McClane kicked things off with the first set of 80s Action Heroes skins in May, though we already know that more characters are on the way. There’s no telling just what the developers have in store, though it’s safe to expect more action film heroes joining the fight in the near future. Here are five unmistakable 80’s icons we want to see in Warzone next. Tony Montana – Scarface It’s simply impossible to think back on the most impactful 80’s characters and not consider Tony Montana. Arguably Al Pacino’s most memorable role, the ruthless killer would be a perfect fit for Warzone. While the character doesn’t quite have a military background, he’s no chump with fully automatic weapons. Closing out the final circle in Verdansk with his bloody suit on could be one of the best visuals in the CoD franchise. Montana is certainly no hero but his character fits the bill perfectly for the 80s era. T-800 – Terminator Outside of some creepy Halloween costumes, Warzone tends to play it safe with new crossovers. We’re yet to see anything other than human characters added into the CoD battle royale, but if we’re to break that mould anytime soon, Terminator would be a perfect franchise to kick things off with. The T-800 robot is a killing machine through and through. Being able to drop into Verdansk ‘84 as the terrifying figure would strike fear in just about every other character in the lobby. It seems to be a likely fit as even the official CoD Twitter account has teased a Terminator crossover already. Dutch – Predator How can we have more 80’s heroes popping up in Warzone without seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger sometime soon? You can take your pick from his best hits but Dutch might be the most fitting for Verdansk ‘84. A former mercenary and military leader, Dutch went toe to toe with the ‘Jungle Hunter’ in the first Predator film. He’s already outfitted for combat and his camo could make the skin a real threat in any jungle POI. If Activsion wanted to get truly crazy, this could even pave the way for a special ‘Predator Hunt’ LTM. Max Rockatansky – Mad Max While the Mad Max franchise kicked off in 1979, just shy of being a true 80’s hit, there’s no denying the series was popularized throughout the following decade. The Aussie action star became a cult icon as a result of the follow-up films. It’s only right the Road Warrior drops into Verdansk with his unmistakable leather jacket. Of course, it would only be fitting to cram a unique vehicle skin or two in with this bundle. Imagine being chased down by a deadly truck covered in spikes, or a unique monster truck design with weapons at the ready. There’s plenty of possibilities to cash in with this 80s crossover. Chuck Norris For a fun one to close things out, we want to see Chuck Norris in Warzone. It just has to happen. This Operator skin doesn’t need to be tied to a specific film, Norris himself is an 80’s icon and more than worthy of his own crossover. Having built a reputation for being truly ‘unkillable,’ tearing through Verdansk as the action star would be an incredible joyride. He’s both a sharpshooter and a martial arts pro, meaning we could even see some unique finishing moves too.

First Warzone Season 2 teaser hints at Zombies being added – Dexerto
First Warzone Season 2 teaser hints at Zombies being added ActivisionZombies could be coming back to Warzone in a big way, with players spotting a number of in-game teasers hinting at an upcoming Call of Duty crossover. [jwplayer STmdh7R3] Just a few months removed from the popular Zombie Royale playlist, Warzone could be taken over by hordes of the undead once again; players have begun to notice in-game teasers that hint at some kind of zombies integration in the near future. From unique easter eggs around the map to familiar gameplay effects, it appears as though Warzone has something big in store. The first major teaser appeared on February 11 as players discovered a new machine in the Verdansk hospital. This enormous contraption appeared in the Warzone Rumble playlist and was more than just a visual hint. There was actually a function for the machine, as players could interact to “activate zombies.” https://twitter.com/ProRebornYT/status/1359990483557220352?s=20 Various screens around the device further hinted at bigger plans in the works. Zombies easter eggs have long been some of the most elaborate in the gaming industry. Deciphering codes is just one step that players have grown accustomed to over the years and now there are new messages to unravel in Warzone. A string of letters and numbers repeat on select monitors. We also have a note that reads: “Prove yourself, to the victor, so the spoils.” There’s no telling just what it all means for now, but it’s clear something zombie-related is on its way. What are these codes? pic.twitter.com/lXQx7lCCZx — Geeky Pastimes (@geekypastimes) February 11, 2021 On top of this newly discovered machine, others have also been hit with a familiar effect. August 2020 marked the first in-game teasers for Warzone’s crossover with Black Ops Cold War. Players had their screens taken over by static without any warning. Now, it’s happening again. This time, players have noticed a near-identical teaser while playing on Rebirth Island. After opening a crate at the beginning of a February 11 match, one player was hit with the static effect as new dialogue played in the background. While this could be hinting at something completely different, the timing certainly points towards this being another zombies teaser. For the time being, there’s no telling exactly what’s in store. It could simply be hinting at the return of Zombie Royale, or there could be an entirely new zombie-fuelled experience on the way to Warzone. Just yesterday Call of Duty leakers hinted at an ‘open-world’ zombie experience coming to Black Ops Cold War. Perhaps this is our first in-game confirmation of the biggest zombies mode yet. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

First Update for Blackout Increases Player Count, Bug Fixes, Looting Improvements and More – Dexerto
First Update for Blackout Increases Player Count, Bug Fixes, Looting Improvements and More Treyarch has released an update for the Blackout Beta as a hotfix, with a increase to playercount, plus lots of gameplay improvements and bug fixes As announced before the beta went live, Blackout started with 80 player lobbies, twenty less than the typical 100 in most other Battle Royale games. To some it was a surprisingly high number however, as Call of Duty is known for small player counts, and it was higher than Battlefield V’s 64 player battle royale mode. However, after feedback from day one of the beta on PlayStation 4, it looks like Treyarch are testing out a slight increase to player count, as some beta players have reported seeing 88 in the counter. During the beta phase Treyarch said they would test out various changes to see how the balance would work. Vonderhaar has now confirmed on Twitter that the player count is increased to 88. Another major change is to picking up items, which was initially cumbersome with a hold square system. Design lead David Vonderhaar confirms improvements have been made here too. Call of Duty: Blackout Players Have Discovered a Glitch That Allows You to Duplicate Items The real test for graphical quality and frame rate issues will come with the PC beta, which is set to start on September 14. The quick equip menu, which is activated by pressing Up on the D-Pad is said to now automatically dismiss itself after 5 seconds of not interacting with it. Complete list of changes for Day 2 (via Reddit) General: Changed Featured Playlist to DUOs. – Raised player cap to 88. – General stability and stat-tracking improvements. – Quick equip menu will automatically close if not used for 5 seconds. – – Item Pickups Increased the speed of picking up Items off of the ground – you will still be able to reload your weapon independently without picking an Item up by tapping the reload button. – – Equipment Reduced duration of Sensor Dart to 2 minutes – –

First Teaser Images Revealed for ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale Map [UPDATING] – Dexerto
First Teaser Images Revealed for ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale Map [UPDATING] PrestigeIsKeyThe Call of Duty community has been given its first look at some of the map layout for CoD: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode called Blackout. With less than six days before the Private Beta for Blackout goes live on the Playstation 4, Treyarch have begun releasing teaser images and bits of information about the highly anticipated mode. Several CoD content creators tweeted out that they had been sent cryptic images of a part of the Blackout map, although the images were in sepia tone and relatively low quality. YouTuber ‘PrestigeIsKey’ developed higher resolution and colored version of the images, which can be seen below. The YouTuber has also begun putting together the map like a puzzle, using all of the images that he and the others have received. This is what he has put together so far, and we will continue to update this image when more areas are revealed. These image reveals come after new details were revealed about the mode, including the player count and four of the playable vehicles. For more information, visit the links below

First possible Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War teaser spotted in Warzone – Dexerto
First possible Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War teaser spotted in Warzone NutterButterAF[jwplayer gd7BhumN] Even though CoD 2020 hasn’t been officially announced yet, according to a new video, there may possibly be a teaser already for the upcoming Black Ops Cold War, inside of Warzone Season 5. At this point, we know a ton of details about Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, this year’s entry in the mega first-person shooter franchise, even though it hasn’t technically been revealed by Activision. Tons of leaks lately point to the fact that the game’s announcement is going to be integrated into Warzone in some way, shape, or form. How exactly it will be implemented, remains to be seen, but we may already have our first clue. On August 7, Warzone players reported seeing an odd glitch effect on their screens while playing the game. According to the clips, static takes over the player’s screen for a few minutes, before the words “KNOW YOUR HISTORY” appear on the screen. Cod 2020 teaser in warzone!!! Full clip!!!! @PrestigeIsKey @NICKMERCS @timthetatman @drdisrespect @InfinityWard @CallofDuty @charlieINTEL @Swagg #CallofDuty #CoD2020 #CallofDutyModernWarfare #Warzone @RavenSoftware @Treyarch pic.twitter.com/K36EMaNirH — NutterButterAF (@NutterButterAF) August 7, 2020 That message is then followed by the words “обреченына ее повторение”, which translates to “Doomed to repeat it” in Russian. What does this all mean? Your guess is as good as ours, but it would be hard to argue against this being a teaser for the next game. For one, the phrase “know your history or be doomed to repeat it” is an old philosophical saying that wouldn’t really fit anything having to do with Warzone in its current state, so it must be related to the new game. Furthermore, the presence of Russian text can’t really be coincidence; with the new CoD reportedly set to take place in the Cold War era, it’s safe to assume that Russia will play a central role in its story campaign and multiplayer. Of course, there’s always the chance that this could strictly be a teaser for an upcoming in-game event in Warzone, totally unrelated to Black Ops Cold War. In the official Season 5 Roadmap, Activision did confirm that there would be a “mid-season event” in the game, so we won’t know the whole picture until that kicks off. That said, we may not have to wait long at all, considering that some content creators received mysterious crates from Activision with instructions telling them to not open the package until August 10. As a result, the overwhelming speculation has now shifted to Monday being the date for when the next CoD will be officially revealed, which would make it even more sense that the devs are starting to sprinkle in-game teasers here and there.

Black Ops Cold War adds new first-person Dead Ops Arcade game mode – Dexerto
Black Ops Cold War adds new first-person Dead Ops Arcade game mode ActivisionActivision and Treyarch have announced that a first-person variant of the classic Dead Ops Arcade mode will be coming to Black Ops Cold War in the very near future, marking a drastic change for the mode. Here’s how the mode will work when it launches. If you’ve ever wanted to play Black Ops’ classic top-down mode Dead Ops Arcade in first-person without needing a power-up then Treyarch has some good news. In Black Ops Cold War’s March 2 patch notes, Treyarch revealed that Dead Ops Arcade would be getting an all-first-person mode on Thursday, March 4, 2021, much to the interest of long-time fans of the mode. According to the devs themselves, it seems like this is the classic Dead Ops Arcade experience, with players still being able to grab treasures, power-ups, discover new areas, and only more, with the only difference being that it’s not longer in a top-down perspective. Players will also get the benefits of classic first-person gameplay on top of that, including sprinting, sliding, swimming and more, making this variant a true amalgamation of the two modes. While good news for Zombies fans, it doesn’t exactly come as much of a shock. The mode leaked a few days back in the game’s leaderboards before the launch of Season 2, leading some to speculate that the variant was coming in the very near future. Also, while it’s never been a full-time mode, in the past, players have been able to get power-ups that temporarily shift the perspective to first-person. Read More: Black Ops Cold War March 2 update – One thing that remains to be seen is how long the mode stays in the game. Treyarch doesn’t mention if this is a permanent addition, or if fans only have a limited time to check it out. Here’s hoping that it’s the former and fans don’t have to rush to play the mode.

First Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer confirms Ghost and teases Rust – Dexerto
First Modern Warfare Season 2 trailer confirms Ghost and teases Rust Infinity WardInfinity Ward have released the first official teaser for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 and it not only confirms that the iconic Ghost character will be returning but it also provides what could be a glimpse of the Rust map. With Season 1 slowly but surely winding down in Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward have started the campaign for hyping up the launch of Season 2. Since Season 1 was being called “the biggest post-launch content drop in Call of Duty history,” it’s reasonable to expect that the second season will follow suit in what it will be bringing to the table. While not much information has been announced thus far, Infinity Ward finally dropped the first teaser for Season 2 on February 4. Read More: Modern Warfare February 4 patch notes – Although the clip is short, only 15 seconds in length, it’s actually quite revealing as it confirms that Ghost will be featured as well as the possible remastering of the iconic Rust map from Modern Warfare 2. The first #ModernWarfare Season 2 teaser confirms the return of Ghost! 💀 pic.twitter.com/BWBJIR3xYj — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 4, 2020 Ghost returns to Modern Warfare Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley is a well-known character from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, and the scene showing him get betrayed and killed by General Shepherd is one of the most iconic moments in CoD history. Now, he will be returning to the 2019 installment of the series, as confirmed by the teaser above. While it hasn’t been announced in what capacity he will feature, it’s more than likely that he’ll be one of the Operators that players can choose to play as in the multiplayer. This news doesn’t come as a major surprise, of course, since there were plenty of easter eggs and clues dropped ahead of time about Ghosts return. Will Rust to be added to multiplayer in Season 2? In the Modern Warfare series or Call of Duty as a whole for that matter, Rust is up there when it comes to the most memorable and iconic multiplayer maps. Eagle-eyed fans caught what appeared to be two images of the classic MW2 map towards the end of the teaser. Although the pictures are blurry, they definitely look like some of the areas on Rust. This isn’t totally out of the blue either; Rust was found in a list that was leaked months ago of classic CoD maps that could be added at some point in Modern Warfare. When you take into account that leak, these images now officially being released, and the fact that there’s obviously already an MW2 flavor with Ghost returning, then it makes sense that if Infinity Ward were planning on bringing back Rust, it would be in Season 2. Modern Warfare Season 2 is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, February 11 after it had been delayed due to Season 1’s recent extension. With there being no purchasable DLC or Season Pass model this year, this new content will be available for free on all platforms.

First Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer image leaked by LA Rams NFL player – Dexerto
First Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer image leaked by LA Rams NFL player ActivisionOur first look at Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer component has slipped out early thanks to a now-deleted Instagram post from a Los Angeles Rams NFL player, revealing the in-game lobby along with a number of returning features. While Modern Warfare 2 is seemingly just weeks out from its multiplayer Beta, we’re still yet to see the latest iteration of online play. Having instead revealed single-player gameplay first on June 8, Call of Duty fans have had to remain patient on a full multiplayer deep dive. Before Infinity Ward could prepare its own rundown, however, our first look at Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer offering has now spilled out online. Thanks to an early playtest involving a number of NFL athletes, we now know a little of what to expect. LA Rams player Cameron Dicker briefly shared an image of his early session with the game on his Instagram reel on August 2. Moments later and this accidental leak was removed and replaced by a more generic image of the game’s cover art instead. But with the internet being the internet, that first picture is continuing to make waves. Through this leaked screenshot, we see all the typical features of a CoD lobby screen. There’s the player list on the right-hand side, setup options, a look at the game mode in focus, along with a map preview in the bottom right corner. Speaking on the latter, we now have confirmation on a previously leaked museum map. Valderas Museum is the official name of the location, dropping players into a vibrant summer day in Spain. This early image also confirmed the return of CoDCaster for another year. This crucial feature allows for spectators to view any given match, thus enabling the Call of Duty League to function properly. Unsurprisingly, Play, Weapons, Operators, and Barracks sit atop the lobby screen, allowing players to jump between menus and customize both their equipment and appearance, as well as check challenge progress, statistics, and the like. While plans can always change in the last few weeks before launch, it’s safe to assume much of this lobby screen will remain in place for the final build. Though should that not be the case, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

First Modern Warfare 2 campaign details revealed: Locations, characters & missions ActivisionThe first details around Modern Warfare 2’s campaign are here. From the reintroduction of familiar faces like Task Force 141 to the arrival of a brand-new kind of threat, there’s a lot to break down in the official first look. Infinity Ward is set to shake the Call of Duty franchise up once again in October 2022. Modern Warfare 2 represents a new era for the franchise and while much of the hype will no doubt be centered on Warzone and the classic Multiplayer modes, the fresh Campaign has more than a few interesting innovations itself. Modern Warfare 2 campaign details During an early access preview event attended by our sister website CharlieIntel, Infinity Ward showed off tons of new gameplay and campaign information. MW2’s campaign picks up three years after the events of Modern Warfare 2019. Captain Price has completely assembled TF141 and the fan-favorite spec ops unit is taking care of business across the world. From the Middle East to Mexico players will be doing a lot of globetrotting throughout the course of the story. The central conflict takes place after a United States issued strike takes out a foreign general, placing the entire country in the crosshairs for revenge unless forces from the U.S. and Mexico work together to get ahead of the situation. Modern Warfare 2 characters This new version of the infamous squad is made up of Price, John ‘Soap’ McTavish, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, and Kate Laswell. From what we saw at the event, this group serves as the core of the party, but other allies will also be joining the fight. Another prominent teammate is Graves, a member of the Mexican shadow company PMC, who helps Ghost curb some of his lone-wolf tendencies. First look at Modern Warfare 2’s missions The game’s first mission puts newcomers into the shoes of Soap MacTavish as TF141 tracks down some supplies that Laswell believes is linked to a major terrorist cell. An allied helicopter comes crashing down just as the team arrives on the scene, but they continue forward and clear out the building ahead of them. From here it’s a race to secure the downed chopper and any potential survivors. In the second level, players take on the role of Gaz in a water-based stealth adventure in Amsterdam. He spends most of the mission sneaking around and taking enemies out silently. By the end his squad has learned that the terrorist cell they’ve been hunting this whole time has been using the Las Alamas Mexican cartel to run their dirty work. After securing a phone from one of the dead smugglers the team formulates a plan to interrupt the next meet. The next mission takes us into the city and introduces a new repel system that allows for better control of your destination than ever before. Our penultimate glimpse showed Captain Price leading another long-range sniper mission, similar to the iconic All Ghillied Up from Call of Duty 4. IW remarked that their experience with developing Warzone made them comfortable developing massive environments for these kinds of levels. Our finale wrapped up with a thrilling vehicle chase through Mexico in which the player-controlled character leaps directly from car to car to survive the chaos. First look at Reaper Specialist in Black Ops 4 – is it overpowered? – Dexerto
First look at Reaper Specialist in Black Ops 4 – is it overpowered? TreyarchThe release of Operation Apocalypse Z in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has introduced the new Reaper Specialist in Multiplayer, and many are calling its weapon and equipment too overpowered. The latest major update in Black Ops 4 went live on July 9, marking the launch of the fifth Operation content stream – Apocalypse Z. As with the previous Operations, Apocalypse Z brought with it a lot of new content and changes, including the addition of Reaper in Multiplayer, after it had already been a playable character in Blackout battle royale. The Reaper’s weapon is called the Scythe – a machine gun with an extremely high fire rate and damage potential, which also causes a suppression effect like the Titan LMG’s Operator Mod. In addition, the Specialist also features the Radar Shroud equipment, which deploys a jamming devices that hides an area on the map from enemy mini-map scanners. While the Reaper has only been in Multiplayer for less than a day, many players have already made note on how powerful its weapon is, perhaps even too powerful. Not only is the Scythe powerful enough to shred through enemies in just a couple of bullets, it also seems to last a pretty long time, allowing players to go on massive kill-streaks. The powerful nature of its weapon has also raised questions about how the Reaper will fit into the competitive side of the game, such as in League Play and the CWL, especially with it being so late into the season. The capabilities of both Scythe and Radar Shroud can be seen in the video below, courtesy of YouTuber Acez Gaming. How to unlock Reaper in Black Ops 4 Multiplayer? The Reaper is currently only available on the PlayStation 4, thanks to Sony’s exclusivity agreement with Activision. It will be released on the Xbox One and PC, along with the rest of Operation Apocalypse Z, on July 16. Those on the PS4 will find unlocking the new Specialist to be the simplest of tasks, as all you need to do is just reach Tier One in the Contraband stream, which shouldn’t take more than a couple of matches in Multiplayer.

First look at Modern Warfare’s new Gunfight maps: Cargo and Atrium – Dexerto
First look at Modern Warfare’s new Gunfight maps: Cargo and Atrium Infinity Ward are set to release two new Gunfight maps as part of Modern Warfare: Season 1. Here’s a first look at the two small-scale arenas coming on December 3. Infinity Ward are continuing to push out new content, despite being inundated with feedback on the plethora of issues rooted into Modern Warfare’s multiplayer experience. Since launch, the developers have released a new map, a dedicated time-trial mode and sprinkled in a brand new game mode called Gunfight. Indeed, it is the latter which has been lapped up by the community far and wide. Gunfight provides an experience akin to Cage Match from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Given the game mode’s popularity within the community, Infinity Ward recently launched the Gunfight tournament beta — a single elimination bracket, which offers buckets of XP and cosmetic rewards for taking top honors. Infinity Ward plan to release a brand new Ground War map, two new weapons and some throwback maps as part of Season 1 — alongside which, two new Gunfight maps are set to make their debut. Here’s a first look at Cargo and Atrium, thanks to YouTubers, Espresso and ‘TheKoreanSavage. Cargo will give plenty of long-time fans some feelings of nostalgia, since it’s based under the popular multiplayer map ‘Wet Work’ from CoD 4. Based at night, the map makes use of low-light conditions. Players will also have an element of verticality to tackle, since the arena is spread across two levels. Atrium resembles ‘Showdown’ from CoD4, but is not based around the map’s framework (i.e., in the same vein as Cargo and Wet Work). While Cargo has a ruck of shipping containers to duck and weave your way around, Atrium provides an outer corridor and pillars to play hide-and-seek around. Some fan-favorite maps are making a return to the core multiplayer experience as part of Season 1. Yet it appears Infinity Ward’s endeavours have been equally implored into Gunfight, with these new additions. Alongside the two new maps that are confirmed to arrive on December 3, Activision teased ‘and more’ in their official announcement poster Tweeted from the Call of Duty account on November 26.

First look at Modern Warfare multiplayer revealed at E3 – Dexerto
First look at Modern Warfare multiplayer revealed at E3 Infinity WardCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward have shared the first-ever look at Modern Warfare multiplayer during the E3 gaming convention. The hype train for the release of Modern Warfare is well and truly underway, and more information about CoD’s 2019 installment is being made available as the October 25 release date draws nearer. While it seems that Infinity Ward have regrettably chosen not to show any gameplay at the E3 gaming convention in Los Angeles, they have released new details about the game, including a glimpse at the multiplayer for the first time. Multiplayer screenshots released Two high-resolution images were released during Infinity Ward’s panel at E3 on June 11, both of them featuring in-game visuals running on the brand new engine that was built for this game. The first image shows a player camouflaging in some foliage using the iconic Gillie Suit, aiming down the sights of a suppressed sniper rifle. The second image showcases the instantly recognizable Juggernaut suit, holding its devastatingly powerful minigun. When this image was first shown, the developers confirmed that it would also feature in the Spec Ops mode of Modern Warfare. New gameplay aspects During the presentation, the developers spoke about some new aspects of the Modern Warfare gameplay, which were added as part of their effort to making the game feel as close as possible to the real world. The first was a new mechanic allowing gunfire to go through walls, making it much more possible to accidentally hit someone that may be behind a wall. The second was that there would be both smaller and larger scale battles, such as taking over a base, hills, etc… While these aspects were confirmed to feature in the campaign, the devs did not say anything about them being in multiplayer, so that remains to be seen. Characters and story Speaking further about the campaign, Infinity Ward revealed some of the major characters that would be featuring in the single-player story mode. The iconic Captain Price will be making his return to the series, although the character in this game will be a “new take on him” that pays tribute to his original self. The other characters shown were: Sergeant Kyle Gerrick – a former British Army Officer that now works domestic counter-terror and meets up with Captain Price. – Alex – a CIA embed in the Middle East region. – Farrah – Commander in the Rebel Army who did not choose to sign up but war came to her region. – As for the story itself, one side will be played as a Tier 1 Operator alongside Captain Price, while the second-side will be played as Alex. While playing as Alex in the Middle East, players will answer to Farrah of the Rebel Army. You can watch the full replay of Infinity Ward’s June 11 panel on E3 here: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be released on October 25 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest on the game as more information becomes available over the coming weeks and months.

First look at Modern Warfare ‘Gunfight’ gameplay – no mini-map, leaning and more – Dexerto
First look at Modern Warfare ‘Gunfight’ gameplay – no mini-map, leaning and more Infinity WardThe excitement for Modern Warfare is about to enter a new level of hype as popular Twitch streamers face-off in the first ever public demo of game, revealing new changes in the formula to look forward to. While there’s going to be multiple ways of jumping into the action when Modern Warfare releases on October 25, players are getting their first taste of live combat with the help of popular content creators ‘CouRage,’ ‘TeePee, ‘Syndicate,’ and ‘Legiqn.’ The group of streamers showed off various maps while facing off in a new mode called Gunfight, that’s going to bring typical gunfights to a more intimate range alongside one other teammate. New mode: Gunfight CouRage, TeePee and their foes showed off various maps while facing off in a new mode called Gunfight, that’s going to bring typical gunfights to a more intimate range alongside one other teammate. In the mode, two duos are locked in a vicious battle with no-minimap in close-quarter combat to be the first team to nab 10 rounds over the other. People jumping into Gunfight won’t have the luxury of Create-A-Class, meaning players will have to win with what they’re given. The loadouts change every two rounds, and in a strange twist players are only given 40 seconds to eliminate the other team. If there is no winner at the end of that time, a flag will appear on the map. Players then have to run to the newly-spawned flag and defend it for three seconds to win the round. So far the maps for Gunfight have been King, Pine, and Stack, which feature the interior of a warehouse, a dense forest as well as a desert container yard, respectively. New elements in Gunfight It’ll be a constant test of communication and inventory management since there is no healing without the use of Stim Packs in your loadout as raging gunfights can break out at any time. Call of Duty fans are going to be getting some elements of other popular FPS titles as it looks like leaning is going to be a new mechanic in the upcoming Infinity Ward entry. Health does not regenrate in Gunfight. You cannot heal unless you have the Stim equipment attached in this specific mode. — Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) July 11, 2019 It looks like players will be hard-pressed to use the new lean technique to get crucial intel before committing to an open engagement. Similarly, viewers were amped to see brutal Executions on display if an enemy leaves themselves open to attack. Executions can be performed by running up knifing an opponent who made the costly mistake of leaving their back vulnerable to attack. But players will want to make sure the coast is clear, since CouRage got an epic finisher off, just to be Executed by the other opponent soon after. While only one mode has been showed off so far, it already looks like the Call of Duty fan base is going to have incredible new ways of diving into the action in Modern Warfare.

First look at CoD caster in Modern Warfare revealed – Dexerto
First look at CoD caster in Modern Warfare revealed With the competitive season of Modern Warfare fast approaching, there’s a lot to still figure out, from maps, to game modes and weapons, but one aspect that appears to be finalized is the CoD caster spectator mode. Crucial to the spectator experience for Call of Duty esports, the CoD Caster is how viewers will see the matches as they are broadcasted on livestream. Numerous iterations have been implemented throughout the various titles, with some better than others. Their basic function is to show the scoreboard for players (with kills, deaths, assists, objectives etc.), a minimap of the entire map layout, and of course the POV of players in the match. For Modern Warfare, things are slightly different to last year, because there are no specialists this time around. However, it looks like Infinity Ward have taken some inspiration from Treyarch’s layout, with a preview of each ‘operator’ along the top row. In the bottom right, a more focused box for the player whose POV you are seeing appears, showing their weapon, equipment and streaks. However, it doesn’t appear that their attachments or perks are displayed, which could be a complaint from some. Check out all four images in the gallery: The use of operator’s faces may also seem like an odd choice, given that the selection of operator has no impact on gameplay at all. Some fans have suggested that this could be a placeholder used for images of the pro players themselves when watching professional-level matches in the Call of Duty League. Modern Warfare releases on October 25, 2019, but the new franchised league won’t begin until early 2020. Although this may seem like a long wait, it has its benefits. Pro players and the competitive community should have plenty of time to give feedback on both gameplay issues, as well as issues with the CoD caster, to ensure everything is fine-tuned for when the matches start. Of course, this relies on Infinity Ward’s willingness to listen and implement suggestions from the competitive community, which should be more pressing than ever given the increased scrutiny on CoD esports in 2020.

First look at Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s campaign trailer – Dexerto
First look at Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s campaign trailer ActivisionThe first Call of Duty Modern Warfare campaign trailer has debuted and it gives players a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming title. The hype train first started rolling once players discovered the campaign trailer was being shown in the main menu of Black Ops 4, but those who didn’t own the game were left in the dark. Luckily, Sony’s State of Play broadcast led off with the trailer so everyone was able to get a look at what was to come. The trailer ran a little over two minutes and led off with the fan-favorite character Captain Price, who has been a staple of the Modern Warfare series, and gave us a virtual tour of the various locations we’ll be visiting – everywhere from London and the Middle East to other global locations. The story follows a group of soldiers led by Price who are fighting to retrieve stolen chemical weapons and from the looks of things, it’ll be jam-packed with action set pieces that will obviously feel right at home in a Call of Duty title. On October 25th, when the world is threatened, you’ll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. #ModernWarfare pic.twitter.com/zOHAN7mhQz — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) September 24, 2019 No actual gameplay was shown from the trailer but just by watching it you can easily see it’s the best looking Call of Duty title to date, which was practically a given considering what the new engine is capable of. Having a campaign back in Call of Duty will be a welcome addition after Black Ops 4 made the controversial decision to cut one entirely. The Modern Warfare franchise has been known for its hard-hitting stories and it’ll be interesting to see the direction it goes in after all these years after Modern Warfare 3, the most recent installment in the series. We have a good idea of the types of locations that will be covered thanks to the cinematic trailer, but there’s still a lot of mystery. Activision says this campaign will be pushing boundaries and breaking rules, so if that sounds good to you then you’ll be very excited about the new direction. All of these questions will be answered once Modern Warfare releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare devs tease campaign gameplay coming soon – Dexerto
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare devs tease campaign gameplay coming soon Infinity WardIt’s starting to look likely that the first gameplay for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare campaign will be shown at Gamescom. Infinity Ward’s Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki responded to a question asking when the public will see mission gameplay like the ones showed off behind closed doors at e3 and other events. Kurosaki’s answer: “Coming up. Soon,” he said on August 3. While the answer may be vague, it’s actually a pretty big hint if you know where to look. Activision is scheduled to make world premiere content and announcements at this year’s Gamescom on August 19. When you consider how the question was phrased, it was certainly about what would be considered “world premiere content” Kurosaki also replied ‘yes’ to a tweet asking, “Are other familiar faces showing up beside captain price like ghost, Gaz, soap and roach?” The original Modern Warfare campaign is touted as being the best in the entire Call of Duty series with action set pieces ripped right out of a Michael Bay movie. Who could forget fighting through the US Stock Exchange in the opening of Modern Warfare 3 or watching as the Eiffel Tower came crashing down after a battle in Paris? Clearly, the campaign for Modern Warfare deserves its own announcement separate from the rest of the multiplayer news that was dropped earlier in August. Gamescom is one of the biggest gaming events of the year, alongside Tokyo Game Show. Not quite E3 level, but it’s where publishers often show off big projects or hype up existing ones. Additionally, 2K, Bandi Namco, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Sega, Square Enix, and Ubisoft just to name a few, will be premiering new content on Monday, August 19. Gamescom is open to the public August 21-24 in Cologne, Germany.

First look at Call of Duty League 2020 jerseys for all teams – Dexerto
First look at Call of Duty League 2020 jerseys for all teams Call of Duty LeagueJust one week out from the start of a new era in competitive Call of Duty history, the official Call of Duty League store has revealed a first look at the jerseys teams will be wearing when they take to the stage throughout 2020. With the first slate of CDL matchups taking place on January 24 in Minnesota, teams will soon be stepping on stage and representing their respective cities. While it was previously unknown just how players would be fitted at their own homestand events throughout the 2020 season, a new update to the CDL website has given an overview of the exact jersey design in place for the inaugural year of competition. Sporting both home and away variants for every team, jersey designs appear identical across the board with a simple mix of text, team branding, and a single pattern across the chest. White is the color for all home jerseys while black will signify the visiting teams at each event. A small stripe around the left sleeve provides a dash of unique color to both variants on top of the respective logos of each team. The Chicago Huntsmen jerseys for instance, are primarily black and white with a hint of dark green featured on the sleeve, throughout the logos, and within certain lettering. The same applies for every team with its own unique coloring. Priced at $74.99 USD per jersey, the new items are made with 100% polyester and are available in all sizes from Small to 4XL. All clothing will be manufactured by Fanatic, the same company that produces Overwatch League jerseys. The initial collaboration was met with a great deal of disappointment in that community due to steep costs and misleading advertising. A wide array of merchandise is also available on the CDL store. From shirts to hoodies and beanies, fans will be able to kit themselves out in all sorts of clothing to represent their favorite franchises. In line with the jerseys, all accompanying merch maintains a singular design across each of the 12 teams. The first event is set to kick things off on January 24, and it’s likely that attendees will be able to purchase this fresh Call of Duty League merchandise in person. With this new release however, teams will no longer be able to produce clothing of their own, as previously indicated by Huntsmen CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez.

First look at the brand new Kap-45 pistol in Black Ops 4 – attachments, how to unlock, gameplay clips, and more – Dexerto
First look at the brand new Kap-45 pistol in Black Ops 4 – attachments, how to unlock, gameplay clips, and more Call of DutyA brand new pistol called Kap-45 has been added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 as part of the new Barbarian Special Event Stream that went live on January 22. The Kap-45 is a fully automatic pistol that has a fast fire rate and high damage output, according to its in-game description. It appears to be the apparent success of the Kap-40, also an automatic pistol that first featured in the Black Ops 2 Multiplayer. The weapon has eight attachments currently available for it, including Rapid Fire I and II, Fast Mags, FMJ, Grip, Hybrid Mags, High Caliber, and Stock, and does not have an Operator Mod. Read More: Black Ops 4 January 22 Game Settings Update features the return of the Kap-45 and new Multiplayer Playlists – Patch notes – While new weapons in Black Ops 4 have so far been available in both Multiplayer and Blackout, it appears that the Kap-45 is only available in the MP at this current time. While the Kap-45 is technically a secondary weapon, most players will likely just load it up with attachments and try to run it as a primary. According the an early gameplay video of it published by YouTuber ‘GreenGoblinHD,’ this is more than a sound idea as the Kap-45 seems certainly strong enough to be serve as a player’s only weapon in a certain class. As for how to unlock it, the Kap-45 is available to those who can reach the 25th and final tier of the Barbarian Special Event content stream. The new content stream went live on January 22 and can be viewed in the Contraband section of the Black Market menu. Players can reach the tier 25 by either grinding the game or by purchasing any tiers that remain locked. This stream is currently only available on the PlayStation 4, as per Sony’s exclusivity deal with Activision, and will go live on the Xbox One and PC on January 29. The final day when players can unlock any content in the stream, including the Kap-45, will be February 18.

First look at remastered version of Slums map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
First look at remastered version of Slums map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Treyarch have released what is believed to be the final preview for all the remade maps coming to Black Ops 4, finally revealing what the new and improved Slums will look like. First featured in Black Ops 2, Slums is a small and hectic map, with clearly defined lanes, and a narrow center courtyard area. During the Black Ops 2 competitive season, it was one of the most favored maps for hardpoint particularly, with a range of engagements, and emphasis on spawn knowledge. As with the other remastered maps, little has changed about the general aesthetic of the map for Black Ops 4, but it has been given a makeover, with improved graphical fidelity and details. It will be interesting to see how the map plays out in some of the newer game modes that were not in Black Ops 2, namely ‘Control’ and ‘Heist’. For competitive players, the community will be eager to see this map back in rotation, for hardpoint specifically at least. That means that all four announced remakes – Summit, Firing Range, Jungle and Slums – have been revealed, with the exception of Nuketown, which is set to come to all players in November. Treyarch has also teased two other completely new maps, Morocco and Icebreaker, and there is suspicions that one more is still to be revealed. In the launch trailer, a different jungle like environment was seen for just a split second, and it didn’t appear familiar from any of the other maps.

First look at Rebirth Island night version & new Control Center POI in Warzone – Dexerto
First look at Rebirth Island night version & new Control Center POI in Warzone ActivisionThe highly anticipated Warzone Season 3 Nuke Event led to the release of a new nighttime Rebirth Island, along with a brand new POI called Control Center – here’s what you need to know. Players have been looking forward to Warzone’s “Nuke Event” for months now and the developers kept things very coy ahead of the big days. With a series of events bringing in the launch of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3, fans of the battle royale have dropped into nonstop new content. On April 21, the first part of the event was called “Destruction of Verdansk Part 1.” That was enough to get over a million people tuned in on Twitch, leading into Part 2: “Aftermath — Rebirth Island,” which takes players to a nighttime version of Warzone’s smaller map. With the first event’s playlist getting shut down, fans have turned to Rebirth Island. Now, it’s dark and full of more surprises than just enemies, as the mode has a new POI and a variety of clues that people are still deciphering. Rebirth Island night mode revealed during Warzone Nuke Event After Verdansk got nuked in the “Destruction” event, players move over to Rebirth Island — where the developers explain that people can “search for clues amid the aftermath.” Additionally, three modes are available: Resurgence, Mini Royale, and Kingslayer. Like Verdansk’s Halloween events, this version of Rebirth Island is given the nighttime treatment. An exciting twist to the action, the map’s makeover makes building interiors much brighter and the outdoors much spookier. Another thing that people are appreciating about the new map is that you can see a nuked Verdansk off in the distance, with a gigantic, fiery mushroom cloud contrasted against the night sky. As for where to “search for clues”? The new “Control Center” POI is a good place to start. https://twitter.com/WarzoneNewz/status/1384997590559825925 New Control Center location on Rebirth Island night mode Replacing the divisive Construction area adjacent to Prison, a new multi-level building named “Control Center” has been added. The large structure is not only a brand-new area to loot and fight in, but seems to have a variety of clues for the game’s ongoing story. First look at the new night version of Rebirth Island in Warzone 🌙 There’s a new POI too, called Control Center – here’s what’s inside: pic.twitter.com/1oJpyg50Nv — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 21, 2021 At the time of writing, players are still figuring out what comes next and how to use the intel they’ve found. After these April 21 events, much more is planned for Season 3’s launch; according to the schedule, Season 3 will launch on April 21 at 9 PM ET and then another Rebirth Island event will take place on April 22 at 12 PM PT. Verdansk is nuked, Rebirth Island is transforming, and all players can do is stick to the universal CoD mantra: stay frosty.

First Look at New Multiplayer Map ‘Arsenal’ in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
First Look at New Multiplayer Map ‘Arsenal’ in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Footage of an unannounced multiplayer map for Black Ops 4 has surfaced from play sessions in Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, entitled “Arsenal”. The map was not featured in the recent multiplayer beta, and with no other multiplayer betas announced, this may be the only look at this map until the full game releases on October 12. The map appears to takes place on a military base or compound of some kind, complete with large anti-aircraft guns. There seems to be a good mix of short and long range engagements, with a congested central area, and flanking routes on each side. It does seem to be a fairly large map, perhaps the biggest compared to what was playable in the beta, although it is difficult to really get a feel for the size without getting hands on. It is certainly a very clearly structured map, following a fairly straightforward three-lane approach, like Treyarch map design is famous for. This could mean it is also a viable map for competitive play, at least for the hardpoint gamemode, as is shown in the below footage, thanks to Spanish YouTuber Soki. It is still unknown how many maps in total will be available at launch, but so far it is already a pretty long list confirmed: New Maps: Arsenal – Frequency – Seaside – Contraband – Hacienda – Gridlock – Payload – Remakes: Summit – Slums – Jungle – Firing Range – Nuketown is also expected to make an appearance, in one way or another. Black Ops 4 will release on October 12. Before then, there will be a beta for the Blackout Battle Royale mode on September 10, first of PS4 players. PC then get access to the beta on September 14.

First look at MW2 map Rust coming to Modern Warfare Season Two – Dexerto
First look at MW2 map Rust coming to Modern Warfare Season Two Infinity WardRust – one of the most famous maps in Call of Duty history – has been confirmed for Season Two of Modern Warfare. Fan anticipation for Modern Warfare’s second season grew exponentially on February 7, when a significant leak came by way of the official Call of Duty website. The leak confirmed a host of new content, including a ‘Ghost’ operator skin and a brand-new battle pass. Other new in-game items include two new weapons: the GRAU 5.56 assault rifle and the Striker 45 submachine gun. The former is described “lightweight, maneuverable and full of potential”, while the latter is a “hard-hitting and long-range SMG.” 🚨 BREAKING: A massive #ModernWarfare leak reveals major details about Season 2. – Two new guns – New Ghost Operator & skins – Battle Pass with 80+ items – New teaser videoFull details & images 👉 https://t.co/aYQETY98Ek pic.twitter.com/gCj8WLDdRC — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 8, 2020 However, a new detail has emerged in the aftermath of the leak, confirming the arrival of ‘Rust’, a fan-favorite map that dates back to 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. The details come by way of charlieINTEL, whose Call of Duty AR card was updated on February 7 to confirm Rust’s imminent addition to Modern Warfare. An in-game image accompanied the news. At first glance the map looks almost identical to the original, which became notorious for trickshotting in Modern Warfare 2. While the date of Rust’s addition to Modern Warfare has not yet been confirmed, fans are very excited for another opportunity to revisit Afghan desert map. It will most likely launch on the same day as Season 2, February 11. The map is known for its grid-like structure and tiny size, lending itself to some chaotic, fast-paced gameplay. In the center of the map there is a large metallic tower, which quickly established itself as a power position and a great location for trickshots. Rust was added to 2016’s Infinite Warfare, but was adapted significantly for the futuristic setting and advanced movement system. The news confirms existing rumors that a host of Infinity Ward multiplayer maps are set to be added to Modern Warfare over its life cycle. If the rumors are to be believed, Rust probably won’t be the last map from an old CoD that we see added to Infinity Ward’s 2019 title.

First look at MW2 2009 maps in Modern Warfare 3 revealed – Dexerto
First look at MW2 2009 maps in Modern Warfare 3 revealed ActivisionSledgehammer Games shared footage and images of MW2 (2009) remastered maps in Modern Warfare 3. It has been confirmed that all 16 classic Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps will be playable in Modern Warfare 3 at launch. And surprisingly, only six of MW2’s iconic maps have received a remastered version over the years. Two of the most popular, Highrise and Favela, both received remakes. However, it’s still been around 10 years since either beloved environment was featured in a COD title. And Skidrow and Estate never got remade despite being popular. Modern Warfare 3 provides a perfect chance for series veterans to revisit their favorite locales. Yet several maps were in desperate need of a facelift, so here’s how the devs went about faithfully modernizing all 16 6v6 battlegrounds. Modern Warfare 3 remastered MW2 (2009) maps Sledgehammer Games’ Art Director Matt Abbott and Design Director Zach Hodson spoke about their thought process while designing MW3. Hodson emphasized the team’s desire to marry the movement and gunplay of older games with that of the newer games. Or as Abbot explained: “How are we going to make the best versions of those maps that people have ever played? Because that’s what we want as fans.” The devs also confirmed that along with the 16 6v6 maps, there will be four battle maps. Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 and 2 will both introduce three new 6v6 maps, and the devs confirmed there will be over 12 new maps over the course of the seasonal content plan. Here is a first look at the final result of that process. Terminal Afghan Quarry Scrapyard Favela Derail Rundown Estate Skidrow Highrise Karachi Invasion Rust Players will have a chance to play these maps for themselves during the Modern Warfare 3 beta. First look at Modern Warfare’s new ‘Port’ Ground War map – Dexerto
First look at Modern Warfare’s new ‘Port’ Ground War map A number of Call of Duty YouTubers have shared a first look at the upcoming ‘Port’ Ground War map, which is set to be added to Modern Warfare when Season 1 launches on December 3. Modern Warfare’s multiplayer has been praised for its versatility, offering a wealth of game modes for players to dive into. These include standard 6v6 modes, but also the unprecedented 2v2 Gunfight mode, and the Battlefield-esque 32v32 Ground War mode. Ground War maps are expansive takes on villages or towns, with one – Krovnik Farmland – already being added post-launch. Infinity Ward have officially confirmed another, known as Port, which will be added on December 3. The new map, full name Port of Verdansk, takes place around a harbour, and is aesthetically resonant of the docking area in Black Ops 4’s Blackout map, which was based on Cargo from Black Ops II. However, Port also features a callback to an Infinity Ward game – 2007’s original Modern Warfare. Vacant, one of the most popular multiplayer maps from that title, is featured as a location in Port, and will return as a standard 6v6 multiplayer map when Season 1 launches on December 3. The video below, from popular CoD YouTuber SwaggXBL, shows a more detailed run-through of the map. Port of Verdansk is described by Infinity Ward as: “Battle across massive shipping crates, cranes, buildings, and streets in this unique Ground War map experience.” Many CoD fans have been enjoying Ground War, a previously unprecedented scale of warfare for Call of Duty. The previous iterations of Ground War we have seen in Call of Duty typically feature teams of 9, nowhere near the large-scale combat Modern Warfare boasts. Not only does Vacant return for Season 1, but so do Crash and Shipment, two more fan-favorite maps from the original Modern Warfare. These will be joined by new Gunfight maps, with two being confirmed as Cargo and Atrium. New weapons and game modes will compound the maps, as Infinity Ward and Activision try to deliver on their promise of making Modern Warfare’s DLC the most immersive and biggest in Call of Duty history.

First look at new Modern Warfare operator Minotaur – Dexerto
First look at new Modern Warfare operator Minotaur ActivisionActivision and Infinity Ward have given fans a sneak peek at one of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s operators – Minotaur. In Modern Warfare, operators are unique characters that players can play as, with each having their own customization options, dialogue, and lore. They are similar to Black Ops 4’s specialists, but do not have abilities that affect gameplay. Operators are split into two umbrella factions – Allegiance and Coalition – which are made up of multiple key CoD factions like Spetsnaz and the SAS. So far, 20 operators have been confirmed, although only a handful have been revealed. The newest operator, Minotaur, was revealed on September 11 in a rather unique way. An AR Snapchat Code showed an image of his upper body, as well as a bit of information about him. Based on that information, Minotaur is a Russian who is a part of Spetsnaz and appears to be rocking a stylish blue and white striped tank top. Not much else was revealed about him, but with the beta just around the corner, and release looming ever closer, more details are sure to appear soon. New #ModernWarfare Operator revealed: Minotaur https://t.co/iOLW1UINW4 pic.twitter.com/KVhPfPENIJ — Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) September 11, 2019 A few other operators have been revealed since the Modern Warfare announcement in May, showing off interesting customization features like capes and tattoos. Minotaur, however, seems to be one of the most unique ones yet with his very casual look. The Modern Warfare early access Beta beings on PS4 at 10:00 AM PT on September 12, with PC and Xbox players being able to join the action from September 19. Fans will be able to test out operators in the beta, and perhaps even discover something new.

First look at Gulag coming to CoD: Mobile revealed – Dexerto
First look at Gulag coming to CoD: Mobile revealed ActivisionCall of Duty: Mobile teased a first look at the Gulag on Saturday, May 23 that will provide the iconically claustrophobic combat to the game, possibly for Season 7. The Call of Duty devs have been revamping classic locales from the series’s past and integrating them in new ways to the latest titles of the legendary franchise. In Modern Warfare and Warzone, we’ve seen maps from past CoD titles get remade for the new era of the game. Now it looks like Gulag will be the latest to get a revamp, this time to fit the mobile ecosystem of CoD. The devs published a sly teaser for the game that briefly showed off a set of dirty bathroom sinks under a wide mirror. While this would typically look like a random restroom shot, it was readily familiar to CoD veterans who’ve seen this configuration before. Immediately, the player-base realized that the Call of Duty: Mobile twitter account was teasing the inclusion of Gulag that could be coming with the next content drop. https://twitter.com/PlayCODMobile/status/1264224570287874049 Though unconfirmed to be coming in Season 7, YouTuber ‘Bobby Plays’ uploaded a video in which he found the new map mentioned among the patch’s additions. “We’ve got the Gulag,” Bobby said while going through the Season 7 beta download list. “I don’t know if this is something we’re going to be able to play soon.” That speculation has now come full circle with the devs all but confirming that Gulag will indeed be a new addition for players to load in to. That said, the full capacity of the map is currently unknown. In Warzone, there’s a variation of the Gulag as a unique redeploy mechanic for fallen players. Winning out in the 1v1 allows players to automatically respawn and parachute down below. However, Gulag is also a map in multiplayer, the 2v2 Gunfight mode to be exact, and that could be what this mobile version will be, considering that a video has surfaced of players battling in a 2v2 Showdown on test servers. The exact details, such as release date and official design, have yet to be revealed, so we’ll be on the lookout to bring you all the latest information as soon as more gets announced.
