  • Crimsix hits out at CoD devs over how “easy” Cold War and Warzone weapons are – Dexerto

Crimsix hits out at CoD devs over how “easy” Cold War and Warzone weapons are Dallas EmpireDallas Empire CDL star and three-time world champion Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has aired his frustrations with how “easy” Call of Duty has become, hitting out specifically at the weapons in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Crimsix is often regarded as the greatest CoD player of all time, with the most championships of any other player and a serious habit for winning. So, he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to Call of Duty. If he thinks CoD games have become too easy, it’s difficult to argue otherwise. In multiple tweets posted in the early hours of June 29, Crimsix vented his biggest issues with the gunplay in both Cold War multiplayer and battle royale hit Warzone. In the first tweet, Crim called out the aim assist in Cold War and long-range abilities in Warzone. “It is f**king absurd to me how easy these CODs are becoming,” he said. “The CW aim assist has been taken straight outta @THump’s nightmares, and in WZ, not a single long-distance gun recoils to appropriate levels. They balance it by slowing ADS but that just makes gameplay even worse.” It is fucking absurd to me how easy these CODs are becoming. The CW aim assist has been taken straight outta @THump’s nightmares, and in WZ, not a single long distance gun recoils to appropriate levels. They balance it by slowing ADS but that just makes gameplay even worse. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 29, 2021 He then followed up with another tweet, this time directly to CoD devs Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward. He urged them to look at the AEK-971 assault rifle from Battlefield 3 as his idea of how weapons should be made. “YouTube BF3 AEK-971, the best gun in that game also had the highest skill gap for controlling recoil,” he told them. “TTK was fastest, but by far the hardest to actually hit shots with. As it should be, in every single FPS ever made.” @SHGames @Treyarch @InfinityWard YouTube BF3 AEK-971, the best gun in that game also had the highest skill gap for controlling recoil. TTK was fastest, but by far the hardest to actually hit shots with. As it should be, in every single FPS ever made/will be made. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 29, 2021 At its core, Call of Duty is an arcade shooter, and that’s often been reflected in the weapons and how they’re used. The way the game has developed, though, Crim clearly feels is to cater to a lower skill ceiling, and wants to see major changes going forward to heighten the skill gap. Whether anything major changes with the 2021 release of CoD, rumored to be a World War 2-themed game called Vanguard, remains to be seen.

  • Crimsix hits back at OpTic Chicaco & Greenwall after huge Stage 4 Major victory – Dexerto

Crimsix hits back at OpTic Chicaco & Greenwall after huge Stage 4 Major victory Call of Duty LeagueAfter a huge clash between Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and former teammate Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, the Dallas Empire star has hit out at his critics and the Greenwall in a series of impassioned posts online. Headed into the first Call of Duty League LAN in over a year, the Stage 4 Major, Crimsix’s Empire side set out to face OpTic Chicago in the first round. This came a little over a week after FormaL called out Crimsix for being “carried” to his rings and saying that he should’ve dropped the three-time world champion during the Black Ops 3 season. So, it seemed written in the stars when the two teams were seeded to face each other in the opening round of the LAN event. Most fans had OpTic taking the series with relative ease. Instead, Dallas hit them with a quick 3-0 sweep, and Crimsix spoke out online after the match. A few hours after the match, he tweeted saying that “today’s match is a prime example of how you act after a win vs your rivals,” adding that “Rivals are always pushing you to be better.” By the way, today’s match is a prime example of how you act after a win vs your rivals. You don’t scream in their face and kick them when they’re down. That is how cowards act and that isn’t me and it isn’t us either. Rivals are always pushing you to be better. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 18, 2021 Shortly after, he followed that up with a Reddit comment, on a thread discussing that very tweet. “I know exactly what I’m doing,” he said. “I don’t think you realize how hard it was for me to hold back talking sh*t to people who go outta their way on a consistent basis to ruin my rep. Of course I’m going to pat myself on the back, then I’m going to put out a tweet like that to f**k with the Greenwall’s nutcases even more.” The Empire man continued: “Calling me soft but I’m getting attacked off a win based off my weight, haircut, K/D, and that fucking beautiful Miami Blue Porsche GT3RS I have…” At the end, he shouts out his former Complexity and Evil Geniuses teammate Patrick ‘Aches’ Price, one of OpTic’s biggest enemies at the most important events. “I have become you, master,” he said. “I will fight your fight, Patrick Price.” It goes without saying that there’s no love lost between Crim and the Greenwall despite all the championships he brought them and, this time at least, he has come out victorious.

  • Crimsix gives hilarious response when asked about OpTic’s upcoming match vs LG – Dexerto

Crimsix gives hilarious response when asked about OpTic’s upcoming match vs LG CWL – TwitchOpTic Gaming Call of Duty pro Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter gave an amusing answer when asked to predict his team’s outcome in their upcoming match against Luminosity Gaming in the CWL Pro League. OpTic Gaming and Luminosity are two of the biggest teams in Call of Duty esports, and they are set to play on May 23, in what will be the final match within Division A at the CWL Pro League. While the match may have been expected to be a highly-anticipated affair when it was first scheduled weeks ago, it’ll now be likely nothing more than just another formality for OpTic, seeing as how LG currently sit in the bottom of the division. Asked about that upcoming match following OpTic’s win against Midnight Esports, Crimsix could do nothing but cringe and look around sheepishly, knowing that there were still some LG players within earshot. “I don’t know,” he said. “I think LG’s kind of checked out.” Luckily for him, LG’s Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry, was watching the interview and helped Crim by predicting that the series would last only 20 minutes, insinuating that one of the two teams would dominate in 3-0 fashion. Considering how far apart the teams are currently in the standings, there’s little to no doubt which of the two is more likely to pull off such a quick sweep. At least Slacked seemed to still be in good spirits, despite his team’s recent struggles, as he and Crim made plans to go to golfing while the interview was still going on. OpTic and LG going in opposite directions It would be harder to find two teams on more opposite runs of form that OpTic and LG, who find themselves on opposite ends in the CWL Pro League standings. OpTic’s 3-0 win against Midnight on May 22 was their sixth in a row, opening up a two game lead atop Division A. LG, meanwhile, lost their sixth consecutive match on May 22, a 3-1 defeat to second-place Gen.G. While LG certainly have the talent to beat OpTic in a series, the way things have gone for both teams lately, it’s safe to say no one is putting their money on the boys in blue tomorrow.

  • Crimsix’s hilarious CDL Major challenge that nobody saw coming – Dexerto

Crimsix’s hilarious CDL Major challenge that nobody saw coming In our new show, Reverse Sweep, hosted by Katie Bedford, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, and Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, the three sit down to discuss the ins and outs of the Call of Duty League. One player’s standout moment during the CDL Stage 1 Major had them roaring with laughter. Stage 1 Major’s Empire vs Subliners grudge match saw Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter coming in off of the top rope to give opposition James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks a heat check. The question, though, is: can anyone top this ego challenge in Cold War? One of Pacman’s standout highlights from the event, the play saw the pair saw themselves battling it out in a 1v1 in Control, something that he notes “almost never happens” in the way that it did. “Crim could have done anything that he wanted to do on the map, any decision he wanted to make, he had tonnes of time to make the decision. He decided to go up in the plane, and he saw Clay, and just flew out.” In an incredible feat that saw Crimsix go for the big guns, and ultimately fail, it still definitely made a lasting impression. For Enable, the play was a bold move, more akin to something he himself would be more likely to take with 30 seconds ticking down on the timer. The move will definitely go down in history, though, as it’s something Enable “has never seen anyone do.” For all Reverse Sweep content, make sure to head over to our main page.

  • Crimsix has three simple requests to Treyarch for Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

Crimsix has three simple requests to Treyarch for Black Ops 4 OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has made three demands of the Black Ops 4 development team at Treyarch, after competitive scrims have been plagued by some recurring issues. While scrimming against Team Envy, Crimsix was sent into a rage after losing a Control map, where a number of glitches affected the match. Not least, his teammate, Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow was unable to spawn in for the majority of one of the rounds, which Envy went on to win. This glitch was the cause of much of Crimsix’ complaints, coupled with other issues such as teammates showing as enemies and vice versa. Another common problem, particularly in control, is when you spectate the enemy team during respawn delays which last two seconds (or three if a suicide). These are the three issues which Crimsix would like to see Treyarch address quickly, with the competitive season beginning to really get underway. Fix spawn glitch, spectating enemy team when dead, and friendys appearing as enemies in custom games please @Treyarch — Ian Porter (@OpTic_Crimsix) November 4, 2018 Despite numerous updates on almost a daily basis, these are still some simple yet impactful bugs which are causing real issues within competitive play particularly. Treyarch were fast to fix some of the other early glitches which also effected competitive play, such as the SnD round count glitch, where and SnD map would automatically end after seven rounds had been played, even when the win limit was set to first to six rounds. Perhaps if Treyarch can fix these glitches which are still affecting the game, it will save Crimsix’ helpless desk from anymore attacks like these:

  • Call of Duty: Crimsix highlights a major issue with assault rifles after CWL Las Vegas – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Crimsix highlights a major issue with assault rifles after CWL Las Vegas Competitive Call of Duty fans and pundits were left scratching their heads on more than one occasion during the first Black Ops 4 event of the season as numerous top assault rifle players struggled to keep up with their opponents and teammates. Some of the most dominant main AR stars in recent years, like 100 Thieves’ Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and Red Reserve’s Rhys ‘Rated’ Price, often struggled to take over matches in the way that we’ve become accustomed to at CWL Las Vegas, especially when they had an ICR in their hands. However, OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter believes that there may have been issues with the aim assist and bullet registration for assault rifles during long-range engagements at the LAN event. He said: “Don’t think anyone has publicly said this yet but there is something severely wrong with bullet reg AND aim assist at distance with the non-stock AR’s on LAN. “ICR bullet reg feels like a worse version of the AN94 from BO2. You literally have to lead shots.” Don’t think anyone has publicly said this yet but there is something severely wrong with bullet reg AND aim assist at distance with the non-stock AR’s on LAN. ICR bullet reg feels like a worse version of the AN94 from BO2. You literally have to lead shots. — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) December 11, 2018 Crimsix isn’t alone in his opinion – Lightning Pandas’ Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly responded to the Twitter post, saying: “At least someone else thought that gun felt majorly different on LAN” Crimsix went on to say that he had originally thought the problem was only affecting the ICR – the most popular long-range weapon in the game – but that the same issue was present when he pulled out a Swordfish. At least someone else thought that gun felt majorly different on LAN — Dylan Daly (@MadCat) December 11, 2018 Yeup. I thought it was just the ICR but the Swordfish has that same sort of delay — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) December 11, 2018 While nothing has been confirmed, the fact that so many top AR players seemed to perform worse on LAN than they have been online adds some credibility to what the veterans are saying. If Crimsix is correct, and nothing is done to improve the problems that he has pinpointed, the competitive Call of Duty meta for Black Ops 4 may change entirely with teams moving away from classic long-range AR roles and adopt a different approach to the game.

  • Crimsix Gets Heavily Trolled by Karma Image Following OpTic’s CoD Champs Exit – Dexerto

Crimsix Gets Heavily Trolled by Karma Image Following OpTic’s CoD Champs Exit A mystery member of the Call of Duty competitive community has taken trolling to a new level following a recent Tweet from OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter. Crimsix took to Twitter shortly after his team’s heartbreaking elimination from the 2018 installment of the Call of Duty World Championship, linking a URL that read “bridgelocator.com”. The implications of the two time world champion’s post were clear but it seems that an innovative member of the community decided to take things one step further by purchasing the URL and making it take users to an image of Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow! http://bridgelocator.com/ With the CoD Champs loss still fresh in his mind, it seems unlikely that Crimsix will see the funny side of this next level trolling straight away. However, we’re sure that he’ll grow to appreciate it almost as much as we do over time! Karma, who had been a part of OpTic Gaming since Advanced Warfare, was dropped from the team prior to the start of Stage 2 for the CWL Pro League. Read More: OpTic’s Elimination Snaps Scump’s Insane Streak of Consecutive CoD Titles With at Least One Championship – The Canadian star is a three time world champion and many fans expressed an opinion that he had become the scapegoat for OpTic Gaming’s struggles in Call of Duty: WWII. With OpTic failing to improve on their placings since swapping Karma and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper for Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni and Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, the support for Karma has only grown in recent weeks. OpTic Gaming was eliminated from the $1.5 million World Championship in the group stage despite posting a 2-1 record. A 3-0 loss to Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price’s Evil Geniuses in their final game saw the players lose out on map count as EG and Elevate advanced to the playoffs.

  • Crimsix frustrated with OpTic’s “brain dead” performance vs FaZe – despite winning – Dexerto

Crimsix frustrated with OpTic’s “brain dead” performance vs FaZe – despite winning Despite a 3-2 victory over rivals FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming veteran Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter was seriously not impressed with his team’s performance in the Pro League match, saying he and his teammates played like “brain dead shit stains.” OpTic‘s Search and Destroy performance carried them to victory in the series, but their hardpoint and control gameplay was questionable, especially as they allowed FaZe to claw back a 100 point deficit on the first map. They went on to win 6-0 in the second map, Search and Destroy, but a 3-1 defeat in control saw them behind in the series once again. A much more comfortable second hardpoint win took it to a final map, and although it was a closer 6-4, OpTic’s SnD prowess saw them through. FaZe Clan‘s roster has only been together for around a month, giving them much less time to practice compared to OpTic’s squad, which has been competing as a five since the launch of Black Ops 4. OpTic’s 3rd place finish at CWL London compared to FaZe Clan’s 7-8th (although their elimination at the hands of LG came in controversial circumstances) indicated there was a much larger gulf in quality, but this wasn’t apparent in their Pro League match. Immediately after the series, Crimsix explained his frustrations on Twitter, criticizing the team’s performance and confirming they would be scrimming right away. Really disappointed with the overall team performance that series. Playing like brain dead shit stains. We’re not going back early today, about to run some scrims. But we still advance to 10-4 with the 3-2 win. At least we get more map reps with that one. — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) May 15, 2019 Teammate Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly responded, jesting that Crimsix was perhaps to blame in the control loss, but Crim hit back, unhappy with a SnD play – potentially of which TJ was guilty. Crimsix wasn’t completely devoid of blame, accepting responsibilty for giving FaZe a route back into the hardpoint by going down while holding the spawn point. 100%. First thing after the map I told the team how hard I threw that hill — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) May 15, 2019 It goes to show how a single death can ruin an otherwise stellar team strategy, an example of the fine margins between teams playing at the top level. Regardless of Crimsix’s disappointment with the performance, OpTic still won the series and continued their Pro League streak, advancing to 10-4 in the standings. FaZe Clan assumed Red Reserve’s position in the league after purchasing the spot, which had them languishing in the bottom half of the standings. At the time of writing they narrowly hold a playoff spot in 4th, and continue to show signs of improvement with the new international roster.

  • Crimsix’s former manager responds to reports of being fired – claims to reveal CoDBurner’s identity – Dexerto

Crimsix’s former manager responds to reports of being fired – claims to reveal CoDBurner’s identity Taylor Keating’s decision to part ways from OpTic Gaming Call of Duty star Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter hasn’t gone smoothly, and now the former manager has been forced to defend himself. Keating first announced that he would no longer be representing Crimsix on July 11, stating that he “left on his own accord” in search of new opportunities. Unfortunately, the announcement opened a can of worms on Reddit and social media, many claiming that he had actually been fired behind closed doors, despite saying that the decision was his alone. As a result, Keating was forced to get back on social media a day later and defend himself, not only refuting the claims that were being made against him, but also citing them as a reason for why he was open to switching industries. “Saw a lot of misinformation on Reddit about my departure from Crimsix,” he tweeted. “I mentioned it to him after [CWL] Anaheim. I didn’t get fired. I moved on. The things I see on Twitter and Reddit from the community of one of the reasons I’m leaving for other opportunities in other industries.” Excited to announce that I’ll be working with my longtime friend @OpTic_Crimsix. I’m going to help bring the best content to his stream, YouTube and beyond. 2019 ain’t ready :beers: pic.twitter.com/KNbrabbfcD — Taylor Keating (@TaylorKeating) November 12, 2018 Defending himself was not the only thing Keating did in his social media mini-rant on July 12 – he also went on to reveal the alleged identity of the mysterious and infamous Call of Duty esports insider known as the CoDBurner. According to his tweets, the person who’s been behind the mask of the notorious insider this whole time is a man named Edgar, who goes by ‘EdgarAllanPwn3d‘ on Twitter. “Also to my understanding, the CoDBurner is EdgarAllanPwn3d,” he wrote. “Good luck CoD community. I’m always rooting for you.” Following that post, Dexerto reached out to Keating for further details about his accusation, but he refused to give any further comment at this time. Karma reveals new OpTic Gaming CoD roles ahead of CWL Finals Funnily enough, if he does turn out to be the real CoDBurner, it would mean that he mentioned himself in the third person numerous times in his posts, referring to himself as the “rich guy.” At least if the Burner stops posting leaked information on Reddit now, it will be a tell-tale sign that his secret identity was indeed uncovered.

  • Crimsix fires back at fans claiming he cost OpTic Gaming CWL London glory – Dexerto

Crimsix fires back at fans claiming he cost OpTic Gaming CWL London glory Call of Duty pro player Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has hit back at critics of his performance following his team’s third place finish at CWL London on May 5. CWL London was the first and only Black Ops 4 major event scheduled to take place on European soil this season, and saw all 16 Pro League teams make the trip across the pond for the opportunity to be crowned CWL London champions, and take home a slice of the $325,000 prize pool. For OpTic Gaming, a team who secured victory in the first CWL event of the year in Las Vegas, third was a disappointing finish – especially after going undefeated in pool play – prompting some fans to single out Crimsix’s performance on the final day of the event. Crimsix responds to post-CWL London criticism Following the conclusion of CWL London, statistics showed that Crimsix was the only player to finish with a negative kill/death and assisted kill/death ratio in the entire squad, with some on the OpTic Gaming subreddit stating that these kind of numbers from an ICR player were “unacceptable.” Others discussed the Control match played on Arsenal against 100 Thieves, stating that if the team had managed to convert two incredible chances to win the map, things may have been different. Unfortunately for fans of the Green Wall, an amazing Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams kill-spree tied the Control up at 2-2, with OpTic unable to secure the final hill despite having the numerical advantage for almost the whole round. Crimsix chose to address the critiques head-on, writing on Reddit: “You all need to fucking relax. I was constantly winning [against] other team’s ICR [players]. Yeah, I had an off event in terms of K/D, but that’s not why we lost.” “If we won that Control, we [would have] won the event,” continued the two-time World Champion. “That shit literally destroyed us, and no one is bringing up the fact that I dropped a 1.5 [K/D] against Slasher and Octane on Arsenal? In my opinion, I would say that I could only kill ICR [players] this event, and struggled versus everyone else.” OpTic Gaming’s defeat at the hands of 100 Thieves seemed to be the turning point of the tournament for them, with the team unable to recover from their disappointing loss, losing to back-to-back series as they were dumped out of the tournament by eUnited. 100 Thieves went on to win the event, taking a 3-1 victory over eUnited in the grand finals, securing a first major trophy for the organization and its owner, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag.

  • Crimsix explains why Warzone’s Grau needs to be nerfed – Dexerto

Crimsix explains why Warzone’s Grau needs to be nerfed ActivisionCall of Duty veteran Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has taken sides on the ongoing M4A1 vs Grau debate — and there’s a clear winner, with the Grau needing a nerf according to the Dallas Empire pro. There’s no doubting that Crimsix knows a thing or two about Call of Duty. As the most winningest player to ever touch the franchise, it’s fair to say that the two-time world champion is well-acquainted with the game’s meta. Although, in a recent Tweet, Crimsix has attempted to settle a debate that will be one for the ages… M4A1 versus Grau. Which one takes the biscuit? Well according to Crimsix, there’s only one clear winner. While the M4A1 has been balanced to the high-heavens, the Grau still remains relatively overpowered — there’s a reason it’s most people’s go-to weapon in their Custom Loadouts! In a bid to judge whether the Season 2 AR needs to be nerfed, Crim decided to compare Call of Duty League caster and Warzone aficionado, Clint ‘Maven’ Evans, with Seattle Surge hotshot, Sam ‘Octane’ Larew. By eyeballing the pair, Porter arrived at the conclusion that they’re both about equal. “Result: Toss up. Both can shoot it equally as well…This gun is skill-less and doesn’t feel rewarding at all.” How to judge whether something should be nerfed or not.@Maven w/ Grau vs. @OctaneSam w/ GrauResult: Toss up. Both can shoot it equally as well. This gun is skillless and doesn’t feel rewarding at all. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 7, 2020 While Maven boasts an extensive Warzone portfolio, there are few (if any) who can compete with Octane’s pinpoint accuracy. This seems to provide Crimsix all the proof he needs that the Grau should be nerfed. Surge’s Main AR agreed with Crim’s point, while also jesting that Maven would have his number 90% of the time if the pair were to lock horns. The big advantage of the Grau in comparison to its M4 counterpart is that players can get away with rocking the iron sight — opening up an extra attachment slot to bolster the weapon’s stats. But given how little there is statistically between the two assault rifles (detailed in our extensive comparison), it remains unlikely that Infinity Ward will be looking to nerf the Grau anytime soon.

  • Crimsix explains why Modern Warfare needs “fake three-lane maps” – Dexerto

Crimsix explains why Modern Warfare needs “fake three-lane maps” Call of Duty legend Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has weighed in on the arguments surrounding Modern Warfare’s maps, explaining what the ‘best’ maps in the franchise usually look like. Since it released back on October 25, Modern Warfare has sparked plenty of debate between players – both professional and casual – with plenty on both sides criticizing weapons, maps, and even grenade usage. With the annoucement that Infinity Ward would be rolling out new content, including a brand-new map by the name of Shoot House. That debate about maps has carried on, with Crimsix revealing his hope for the new map in question, specifically about how developers should be mimicking ‘fake’ three-lane set-ups. On November 7, the Dallas Empire player tweeted that “the best kind of maps are “fake” 3-lane maps,” and hoped that Shoot House would be “somewhat like that.” In order to avoid confusion about what he meant by ‘fake’ three-land maps, the two-time CoD World Champion added: “3 lanes with quick/multiple cutoffs that separate the lanes.” The best kind of maps are “fake” 3-lane maps. Hopefully this new map is somewhat like that. (3 lanes with quick/multiple cutoffs that separate the lanes) — Empire C6 (@Crimsix) November 8, 2019 Quickly after his post, one fan quizzed Crimsix on some good historical examples of what he meant, with the former OpTic Gaming star replying with a bad one and an all-time great one. He explained that Ardennes Forest from CoD: WWII was a “perfect bad example,” while Standoff from Black Ops II was a “good” one because of it’s variation in crossing the three different lanes. Ardennes Forrest is a perfect bad example. Only 3 cutoffs to mid-lane, all extremely shitty to go through. Standoff is a good “fake” 3 lane map. Lots of different routes to cross lanes, and about even 50-50 gunfights to cross lanes (no headies vs no headies fights) https://t.co/QC6KFxZr9c — Empire C6 (@Crimsix) November 8, 2019 Prior to the game’s release, Infinity Ward devs explained that they wouldn’t be following the stereotypical three-lane design in order to maintain plenty of “realism” instead of the arena-based shooter feel of recent titles. With a huge number of maps being leaked in a recent data mine, and Shoot House now being playable, it remains to be seen if there will be anything along the lines of what Crimsix wants. However, if the developers are already set in their ways and these maps have been a long time in the making, they may not have taken the increasingly vocal criticism from players on board.

  • Crimsix explains why losing OpTic brand in franchised CWL wouldn’t matter – Dexerto

Crimsix explains why losing OpTic brand in franchised CWL wouldn’t matter OpTic Gaming star Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has confirmed he will compete in the upcoming franchised Call of Duty World League, with or without the OpTic brand. OpTic are currently competing at CWL Anaheim amid the controversy surrounding the successful takeover of parent company Infinite, by Immortals Gaming Club – which was made official on June 12. Reports had previously suggested that the new owners could scrap the Call of Duty team, but in a statement made after their purchase, Immortals confirmed they recognized the value of OpTic Gaming as a premier CoD brand and would be retained as a result. Nevertheless, Crimsix admitted that the nostalgic value of a team name’s means very little to him, and confirmed he will compete in the upcoming franchised league regardless of the brand’s involvement. “Personally, I’ve never had that nostalgia factor – ‘I only like a team because of their name and not because of their players’” he told Dexerto. “Fans out there want to see those players – they don’t really care about the name.” The 27-year-old played down the significance of the OpTic tag and said he hoped the GreenWall would support continue to support their current roster of players regardless of their location. “Whether it’s OpTic Gaming or not OpTic Gaming next year, I hope everyone follows us wherever we decide to go,” Crimsix added. :goat: Will @Optic_Crimsix retire if he can’t wear @OpTicGaming colors next year? We asked him after their win against @TeamHeretics at #CWLAnaheim. Powered by @GFuelEnergy pic.twitter.com/JVVU3p9hcL — DEXERTO Call of Duty (@DexertoIntel) June 15, 2019 The 2017 World Champion completely dismissed the idea of retiring should OpTic not gain a spot in the franchised league, and reaffirmed his desire to become the most winningest player in Call of Duty history; even under a brand-new name. “We’ll play under a different name,” he said. “I’m not done until [I’ve won] 40 championships. That’s the goal I set out for myself after last year and I have every intention of completing it.” Crimsix currently sits on 32 LAN championship wins (although he personally counts it as 33 – including the online Frag Cup in 2012) and will be hoping to add another when CWL Anaheim reaches its conclusion.

  • Crimsix explains why he didn’t talk trash after Empire dominated Huntsmen – Dexerto

Crimsix explains why he didn’t talk trash after Empire dominated Huntsmen Dallas Empire / Chicago Huntsmen The Dallas Empire finally got their first win over Chicago Huntsmen in the semifinals of the Chicago Home Series, but talismanic veteran Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter refused to talk trash following the match. The intense rivalry between Chicago and Dallas had been relatively one-sided so far this season; Empire had failed to beat Huntsmen in any of their three meetings coming into this latest Home Series. That all changed on April 26, as Empire finally got their coveted win against Huntsmen in 3-0 fashion in the semifinals of the latter’s own tournament. The warning signs were there from the get go; the series started with a 250-165 Dallas victory on Rammaza Hardpoint, followed by a 6-2 demolishing on Gun Runner Search & Destroy. The third map, Hackney Yard Domination, was a little bit more competitive but the boys in blue pulled away in the second half to claim the 165-158 win, locking up the sweep. It was the perfect fitting revenge for Empire, who were swept by Huntsmen in the Grand Final of CDL London, a tournament in which Chicago beat them twice. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1254543709791834113 The two teams’ earlier meeting in 2020 had featured some major trash talk, but Crimsix, who had done his fair share of jabbing coming into the season, refused to do the same following this win. “Everyone that’s expecting me to trash talk, I’ve never been a sore winner except for one time in my whole career,” he said in the postgame interview. “I’m not going to be like them [Huntsmen]. I’m not going to talk trash.” “It’s just a semifinal match, online. Crimsix explains why he didn’t talk trash after Empire dominated Huntsmen whatever. I don’t care. It was GG’s, it was a fun match, but now onto the next one. I’m not going to say ‘you suck, you suck.’” It seems that despite the one-sided nature of their victory, the Empire players aren’t willing to equate it to a regular win since it came online rather than on LAN. Immediately following the match, James ‘Eubanks’ Clayster flashed his router on camera, which was being broadcast live to the masses, jokingly crediting his strong internet connection for the win. He also tweeted out an edited pic of teammate Indervir ‘iLLeY Dhaliwal surrounded by routers, following it up by saying he was “just joking around and having some fun.” The result booked Empire a spot in the CDL Chicago Grand Final, where they will face Atlanta FaZe, who beat Seattle Surge 3-1 in their own semis match. This is Dallas’ first trip to a tournament final since the LA Home Series, where they beat Minnesota ROKKR 3-2 to claim their first championship of the season. • Crimsix explains why Dashy is a gamble worth taking for OpTic Gaming – Dexerto

Crimsix explains why Dashy is a gamble worth taking for OpTic Gaming OpTic Gaming’s recruitment of Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell is the first time in years that they have picked up a player who hasn’t won a championship, but Crimsix explains why it is a good gamble. In fact, not only has Dashy never won a championship, he has never even placed top 8 at a major event, something which Crimsix himself highlights. But, Dashy’s recruitment to the biggest organization in Call of Duty comes off the back of years of impressive gameplay, albeit at the amateur level. Like most amateur players, Dashy spent most of his time playing Search and Destroy, a staple game mode which is easily the best way to become known within the community. After being noticed by other prominent SnD players during the Black Ops III season, Dashy quickly become known as one of the smartest SnD minds, paired with incredible gun skill. Crimsix believes that Dashy is “going to be the next FormaL”, in terms of pacing and accuracy, but says “the main thing with these players, is that they are SnD gods.” He explains that while he and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner will lead the roster in respawn modes, they will hand the reigns over to Dashy and other new recruit Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, when it comes to SnD. Of course, the team also has the three time world champion in Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow making his return to the roster, so there is no shortage of experience and expertise on the lineup. Dashy may not have won an event, or even got top eight before, but most fans will expect that to change very soon now that he is part of this OpTic squad.

  • OpTic’s Crimsix explains why comebacks are not as special in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

OpTic’s Crimsix explains why comebacks are not as special in Black Ops 4 OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter believes that specialists are playing a big role in some of the insane comebacks that were witnessed at CWL Las Vegas. With Crimsix’ veteran leadership, OpTic won their first event after a year long slump throughout the CoD: WWII season, taking the first championship of the Black Ops 4 season. And a lot has changed for Black Ops 4, not least the move to 5v5 and the new Control gamemode – but also, perhaps most significantly, the return of specialists. Recapping their impressive CWL Las Vegas run, which included plenty of hardpoint comebacks, Crimsix explained that “Comebacks in this game, aren’t necessarily comebacks.” Giving the example of the grand final hardpoint vs eUnited (which eU led 236-120 at one point), Crimsix explains that specialists were the main reason that their opponents got so far ahead, and the reason that OpTic could come back to win. “They had a lead by like 60 points, then they used all their specialists to bounce that lead to like 120 points, without us using any”, he says, meaning OpTic could use all their specialists with no counter -“When we were coming back, we didn’t have to worry all that much about what specialists they might have.” He also explains that in the earlier match between the two teams, were eUnited almost made a 60 point comeback vs OpTic, it was the same story of specialists dictating which team was on top. Specialists are a contentions topic within both the casual and competitive Call of Duty communities. Many argue that they are too impactful, and detract from the traditional gun-on-gun style of CoD. However, there is no denying that specialists can create big, exciting moments for spectators, both with individual plays, and remarkable team comebacks, as Crimsix explains.

  • Crimsix explains the Modern Warfare meta for professional teams – Dexerto

Crimsix explains the Modern Warfare meta for professional teams ActivisionDallas Empire pro, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, has shed light on the current competitive meta in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Being the winningest professional Call of Duty player in history, Crimsix has a solid knowledge base which fans can tap into. Despite not getting off to the hottest of starts during the Call of Duty League Launch Weekend, the 33-time major champion has given fans an insight into pro team’s meta — and surprise, surprise… the MP5 reigns supreme. It’s no secret that there are two weapons that lead the pack in terms of being the most well-rounded within their respective category. For those unaware, the MP5 and M4A1 have largely gone unmatched during the first three months of Modern Warfare. However, unless you paid particularly close attention to CDL matches, how pro teams utilize these to suit the needs of the game mode and map is less clear. The Dallas Empire AR has revealed exactly how team roles match-up against one another in Modern Warfare, with SMGs taking up a considerable slice of the meta-pie. “This is a four [SMG], one AR game.” Porter explained. “Each team has two main subs, two flex’s but mainly subs (only because of Azhir Cave), and one main AR.” PSA to anyone doing any sort characteristics of roles: This is a 4 sub, 1 AR game. Each team has two main subs, two flex’s but mainly subs(only because of cave), and one main AR. Statistics/graphics/fantasy leagues should reflect role + specialist being used. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) January 31, 2020 Player roles vary on a game-to-game basis, with weapon choices, game modes, and map layout being the largest factors in determining roles. Read more: H3CZ is done answering questions about OpTic – Crim later addressed that fantasy leagues and statistics for players should be relative to their role by stating: “Statistics/graphics/fantasy leagues should reflect role & specialist being used.” Of course, a player whose responsibility it is to manipulate spawns in Hardpoint (usually the main AR) and rotate to the next Hardpoint early, will be less likely to have hill time but will be required to win game-changing one-on-one duels. Perhaps the reason for such an SMG-heavy meta is due to the fast-paced nature of Modern Warfare’s maps, alongside the sheer volume of close-quarters engagements that players will constantly find themselves in. While Crimsix’s meta will likely run true to respawn game modes, players frequently change their rig on a round-by-round basis when playing Search & Destroy — with Sniper Rifles often being used to cut-off long-range lines of sight. Nonetheless, taking into account player roles when displaying statistics (specifically in fantasy leagues) would provide a more relative means of expressing a player’s role on a team.

  • Crimsix explains how ‘laggy’ CDL servers “were not ready” for online play – Dexerto

Crimsix explains how ‘laggy’ CDL servers “were not ready” for online play Instagram: thedallasempireIan ‘Crimsix’ Porter has criticized “laggy” servers after Dallas Empire’s Call of Duty League event concluded on April 12, claiming they “were not ready” for the competition. After a few online exhibition matches, the Call of Duty League returned to its proper schedule with the Dallas Empire event on April 10-12. Despite it being their turn to ‘host’ a CDL event, the Empire had no hometown advantage as all matches were contested in custom games online. Those custom lobbies were supposedly not quite up to snuff for elite competition however, as Crimsix slammed the servers after a top-four finish in the tournament. Streaming some Warzone gameplay on Twitch after the Empire event came to a close, Crimsix was naturally asked about the tournament by those tuning in. Immediately criticizing the servers pros had to play on throughout the event, the most successful competitor in CoD history outlined multiple examples of lag-spikes costing them maps. “There’s a time in the Search and Destroy against [the Los Angeles Guerrillas] where [Ulysses ‘Aqua’ Silva] cooked a nade and the nade blew up in his hand,” he explained. “So that means the lag spike was somewhere between one to four seconds.” “The other time was when I was standing P2 window on Hackney Yard. When you’re in the hill, you just chill.” Despite his best efforts to simply stay put inside the objective, Crimsix “lagged out of the hill after standing still for 10 seconds.” “10 seconds I was standing still. I lagged out of the hill, landed on the bottom of wood steps, had to run all the way back up the steps just to get back into the hill. I knew right then and there, that these servers were not f***ing ready yet.” Crimsix also took to Twitter after their top-four finish, addressing that he wanted to “stay professional” but still share his “thoughts on this weekend’s online event.” “I did not enjoy competing this weekend given the circumstances,” he bluntly expressed. Another pro player raised similar concerns. Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan of OpTic Gaming LA also shared his opinion on the state of CDL’s network infrastructure. “Playing on laggy servers that were known to be laggy from previous test runs is unacceptable,” he said. “Something has to change for the competitive integrity of all future tournaments.” Just trying to stay professional/not get fined/let you guys know my thoughts on this weekends online event…. and the only thing I can really say while trying to do those 3 is by saying that I did not enjoy competing this weekend given the circumstances. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) April 13, 2020 So props to the people behind the scenes for getting it done and even making improvements throughout the weekend, but something has to change for the competitive integrity of all future tournaments. Players this weekend also weren’t even being told where the servers were located — Jordan Kaplan (@JKap415) April 13, 2020 Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the matter following the Empire event. With Chicago Huntsmen’s online event kicking off in just two weeks on April 24, there’s little time to see drastic changes implemented. • Crimsix drops big hint that their CoD team is leaving OpTic – Dexerto

Crimsix drops big hint that their CoD team is leaving OpTic MLGThe most winningest player in Call of Duty history Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter dropped more hints that OpTic Gaming’s entire CoD lineup might be parting from the org soon. Since the Immortals Gaming Club acquired OpTic’s parent company, Infinite Esports & Entertainment on June 12, there’s been a major exodus of talent and content creators from the Greenwall faction. On the player side, there’s been various hints that the Call of Duty team filled with incredible talent at every position might band together and leave the embattled org as a franchised league will take effect in 2020. Crimsix looking toward the future In an August 31 post, Crimsix gave a heartwarming farewell of sorts to an era as he reflected on his time a part of the OpTic brand before new management had taken over. “Such a sad day to the end of an era,” Crimsix said. “Blessed to be apart of something so special… Hopefully wherever we end up will see you guys supporting all the same and we’ll see you guys in 2020!” View this post on InstagramSuch a sad day to the end of an era. Blessed to be apart of something so special. The #GreenWall has changed my life for the better in so many different ways. The support throughout the years is something that I will never forget. You guys are fucking awesome and I’m sure any player would love to player under a team with that amount of love and support. Hopefully wherever we end up will see you guys supporting all the same and we’ll see you guys in 2020! :call_me_hand: The OpTic veteran reminisced about the outpour of support that the Greenwall had throughout the years, but was already looking on to a new chapter. With the Immortals owning both the OpTic brand and a Los Angeles spot in the upcoming CDL, it would seem like the members consisting of Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell , Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, and Crimsix would be an easy shoo-in for a complete team, sans subs. But the future is unclear as to where they will all land, though there’s been hints cropping up from previous OpTic members like Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards that the unit might be sticking together. “Even if the Call of Duty team right now doesn’t end up staying together, which I think they are, from what I hear, I think they are…” Hitch said. Optic Roster rumor : hitch said that pic.twitter.com/Gj3xnFQdNi — tiiin997 (@tiiin997) August 31, 2019 Immortals have either sold, renamed or released all OpTic teams except for the Call of Duty branch. It would be an easy call to make for a future org in the franchised league to pick up a starting five-man roster consisting of the Greenwall’s 2019 team, but time will tell if they’ll be wearing the same jerseys when the inaugural CDL season begins in 2020.

  • Crimsix defends Nadeshot over HBR Champs play after 5 years – Dexerto

Crimsix defends Nadeshot over HBR Champs play after 5 years MLG / Twitter: NadeshotDallas Empire’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has given his thoughts on why former OpTic Gaming teammate Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag pulled out the HBR at CoD Champs in 2015. Nadeshot and his HBR has become a classic meme in the years since he used the off-meta gun, especially since OpTic’s 7th place at the tournament was a far cry from the easy win many fans expected. It’s a joke that has never left Nadeshot despite all his success since, and is something he has tried defending in various ways: arguing that the gun later became meta, or that it was powerful at the time. However, Crim thinks there’s a reasonable explanation for why Nade did what he did, and even called it “the right play.” While trying to recruit Nadeshot to play with him in the next Vikkstar Warzone tournament, Crim said that if he agrees to play with him he will “say what really happened” on the HBR incident — and came through before any confirmation was even made. “You pulled out an HBR because Formal, you, and myself in that particular series were getting sh*t on,” he said. “You decided to use it to pick up the slack slaying wise.” That wasn’t all, though. He continued: “It was the right play, but the wrong gun. I think you/the HBR was the scapegoat for that Champs.” @Nadeshot You pulled out an HBR because Formal, you, and myself in that particular series were getting shit on. You decided to use it to pick up the slack slaying wise. It was the right play, but the wrong gun. I think you/the HBR was the scapegoat for that champs. — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) September 15, 2020 There are all kinds of theories as to why Nadeshot pulled out the HBR at Champs. At the time, the man himself simply said it was a mistake and he meant to pick his double Semtex ASM1 class, which is definitely believable. https://twitter.com/Nadeshot/status/582343062497533952?s=20 Crim’s theory is pretty different to ones we’ve seen in the past, but could be somewhat accurate. We know that introducing new guns to the Call of Duty meta can sometimes cause troubles for enemy players, as evidenced during Luminosity Gaming’s win at CWL Fort Worth when they opted to use the Rampart, so introducing the HBR could have been a big-brain play from Nadeshot’s perspective that just, unfortunately, didn’t work out. Regardless of the real reason, it’s unlikely the meme will die with Crim’s comments, but it might prompt some people to think more about why Nade even had the HBR ready to go at all.

  • Crimsix confirms player union “is in the works” for Call of Duty League – Dexerto

Crimsix confirms player union “is in the works” for Call of Duty League Activision[jwplayer nosJWvz1] Dallas Empire’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has revealed that a player union is “in the works” among Call of Duty League players heading into the league’s second season. For some time, both fans and players alike have speculated that Call of Duty pros could or should create a players union to better protect the interests of competitors, the esport and the league. We’ve seen similar unions created in other esports; the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association is made up of some of the top names in CS:GO, while the NALCS Players Association exists to help League of Legends pros in North America. Now, after the first season of franchising in Call of Duty, it appears that Call of Duty players are looking to follow suit to further enhance their careers. With rostermania kicking off, and a switch from 5v5 gameplay to 4v4, there are major changes coming to the Call of Duty League — but this one is slightly different to what fans are used to. In his appearance on Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler’s CoDcast podcast with Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, Crim was asked a question from a fan about whether a players association will ever happen — and revealed that it’s actually already being created. “It’s already done,” he said. “I don’t think it’s like… It’s in the works. That’s all I’m going to say.” Timestamp 1:22:50 Crim was also asked who is heading up the players union, and joked about it being Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat before saying that he can’t actually reveal any more about it. How exactly the association would proceed and help the esport remains to be seen, but if it’s in the works, we should know before long who’s involved and what exactly its role would be as it pertains to the Call of Duty League.

  • Crimsix, Clayster & TeePee win $50K Code Green Warzone: final placements – Dexerto

Crimsix, Clayster & TeePee win $50K Code Green Warzone: final placements Infinity Ward / Activision / MLG / Dallas EmpireTyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow and Dallas Empire squadmates James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter have been crowned Warzone champions after taking home the top spot in BoomTV’s star-studded $50K Code Green tournament. As Infinity Ward’s new battle royale continues to explode in popularity, and millions flock to the franchise’s latest mode, tourney organizers have been hustling to get the biggest names in esports and streaming into big money events. Looking to take advantage of the hype, BoomTV swapped their fan-favorite Code Red event to ‘Code Green.’ On March 19, in partnership with CashApp, they assembled one of the most star-studded tournament lineups in recent history. As well as a $50k prize pool — which TeePee, Clayster, and Crimsix claimed the lion’s share of with their table-topping 298 eliminations — CashApp also gave away a stack of money, $20k in total, throughout the event’s five-hour stream. Below you can find out how the huge Warzone tournament went down, from the biggest and best plays of the $50,000 event, to the final standings and placements, as well as how much each three-player team earned on the day. The trio managed to pick up the single-highest kill game of all 45 teams. The hefty haul, which eventually ended at 72 eliminations, was just six short of the world record. The Code Green champions weren’t the only ones that clocked up some major kill-counts though. Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, alongside Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and Fortnite streamer Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore, held the top spot at one point too. While Nadeshot and Cloak are no slouches — especially considering they seem to have put Nadeshot’s hiding tactic to bed after Dr Disrespect roasted him for it earlier this week — it was world champ Scump that shined brightest. Early in the event, GoldGlove, Tmartn, and Miami Heat star Meyers Leonard showed you can score victories with a bit of laughter too. Rather than focusing on quick eliminations, GoldGlove sailed down behind an enemy and pulled off a hilarious execution before gunning down one final player. This play though! Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar, and Ben ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo had decided to combine and gun for the win. Unfortunately, Summit1g put an end to that, as one of his wayward rocket shots demolished the entire squad inside their helicopter. “I… I rocketed us. I didn’t know you couldn’t shoot a rocket out a helicopter. I’m sorry,” the streamer laughed. Luckily, he made up for it. Summit had been gunning for vehicle kills, and one particular move was the best of the lot. TeePee, who has been streaming on Twitch since his retirement from the pro scene last year, celebrated the moment with his fans. “My stream started blowing with the new battle royale, so the fact I was able to come out and win this first Warzone one, it was fantastic,” he said. “I’ve played in a lot of these, especially in Blackout. I’m stoked about it man, especially winning with my boys Crim and Clay.” The former OpTic coach even teased some more comps for himself in the near future, and participation in KEEMSTAR’s new Warzone Wednesday series. “We’re going to run it back. • Crimsix, Clayster, ACHES and other pro players debate which CoD games are the best – Dexerto

Crimsix, Clayster, ACHES and other pro players debate which CoD games are the best A trend has gripped the competitive Call of Duty community that has all of the prominent pro players debating which title from the popular first-person-shooter series they think are the best of all time. With the CWL season currently on a bit of a break, pro players have found themselves with a little bit more time on their hands, and what better way to spend that time than to debate about their favorite series. The way these debates work is that each player takes a batch of CoD games and puts them in a list based on several different categories that go from S-tier, or the best, to D-tier which is the worst, with some even added a sixth tier called ‘Trash.’ While a lot of the games that the players have chosen to put in their lists are ones they’ve played competitively, that hasn’t necessarily been a requirement, since many also enjoyed the games from a casual standpoint. As expected, there has been a lot of disagreeing going on Twitter between the pros that have put out their lists, and we’ve included some of the prominent ones down below. Clayster puts out his list, and Crimsix agrees It’s not every day you see eUnited’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter agree on something, but Crim definitely liked the list that Clayster had put out on April 18. In his list, Clay ranked Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare as his top two titles, with WWII, Modern Warfare 3, and World at War all the way at the bottom. “Best list I’ve seen,” Crim tweeted. “I liked Advanced Warfare more personally. Only thing I’d change is swapping those two [with Black Ops 3]“ ACHES picks his favorite titles Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price, a longtime competitor who’s also a two-time World Champion, has gone with Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2 as his two S-tier games, followed by Modern Warfare and Black Ops. Unsurprisingly, his pick for the “Trash” category was Infinite Warfare, which many other players also ranked low on their respective lists. Below, you can find a lot more of these lists from your favorite pro players, including the likes of SiLLY, Classic, JKap, Ricky, Temp, Maux, and Methodz. Team Envy’s SiLLY While there are obviously not many details yet revealed about the game, there is fervent speculation that it will be Modern Warfare 4, considering that the next developer in line is Infinity Ward. While the entire CoD community is currently in “wait and see” mode, there is no doubt that a fourth Modern Warfare title would spark a lot of excitement among the player-base.

  • Crimsix clarifies comment on Dallas Empire being his “best team ever” – Dexerto

Crimsix clarifies comment on Dallas Empire being his “best team ever” Activision/Dallas Empire/OpTic Gaming/Complexity[jwplayer sD84salO]Dallas Empire’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has explained why his current team is “the best he’s ever been on” after the team’s dominant CDL Championship run finished with him earning his third world championship ring on Sunday, August 30. Throughout his tenure as a professional Call of Duty player, Crimsix has been a member of the two teams widely considered to be “dynasties” — the Complexity and Evil Geniuses team of 2012-2014, and then his OpTic Gaming squad from 2014-2019. As the most successful player to ever grace the CoD esports scene, Crim has been on inarguably the greatest rosters of all time — but has now said that he believes his Champs-winning Empire side to be the best ever. “Best team I’ve ever been on, no contest,” he said in a tweet posted shortly after the finals. “We couldn’t have done it without each other, and I’ve never in my entire career, played a tournament being this prepared.” Best team I’ve ever been on, no contest. Fucking love and I’m so proud of these guys pic.twitter.com/SpLpts71pO — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) August 30, 2020 Naturally, the response caused a huge stir in the Call of Duty community. Having been on those dynasty teams in the past, and comparisons between the two causing enough division as is, Crim’s claim has now stoked the fires further. Crimsix explains why Dallas Empire is his best team ever While fans debated their beliefs on the OpTic team being better than both, or the Complexity/EG team being far superior, Crimsix decided to clarify why he believes his Dallas Empire side to be even better. “On coL, we were dominant to different level,” he said. “A new breed of players, but playing with Aches online takes a mental toll. OG [OpTic Gaming] team had enormous amounts of skill, but if we got out-skilled, we got exposed.” Reddit got triggered by this. This isn’t cap. On coL, we were dominant to different level. A new breed of players, but playing with Aches online takes a mental toll. OG team had enormous amounts of skill, but if we got out skilled, we got exposed. (FaZe AW) My 2 cents. — Empire C6 (@Crimsix) August 31, 2020 Obviously, there’s an argument to be made in favor of all of Crimsix’s top teams over which one is the best. For now, Crimsix clearly opts for his current side, and it will be interesting to see whether they can maintain the same level of dominance and intensity in the 2021 CDL season on Black Ops Cold War. With young players like Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro and Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal still able to develop and grow as competitors, not to mention the perennial prodigy Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland, we might have yet another dynasty on our hands — and then we can truly judge which Crimsix team is the greatest of all time.

  • Crimsix calls out Toronto Ultra for treatment of substitute players – Dexerto

Crimsix calls out Toronto Ultra for treatment of substitute players Call of Duty League / Instagram: iancrimsix[jwplayer qYU9URvL]Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has put Call of Duty League organization Toronto Ultra on blast for “anti-player” behavior as staff allegedly threatened to withhold payments during the inaugural season. With the very first CDL season now in the rearview mirror, all 12 organizations have been shaken up in a big way. With the transition back to a 4v4 format, every team has been forced into making drastic roster shuffles. On the back of a top-six finish during the 2020 playoffs, Toronto Ultra was quick to make its moves. The Canadian organization allowed six players to become free agents on Sep. 4, while a few key members were kept on for the 2021 season. Ben ‘Bance’ Bance, Cameron ‘Cammy’ McKilligan, Tobias ‘CleanX’ Jonsson, and Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni will all be sticking together moving forward. However, allegations the organization may be trying to “underpay” their players have come to light, according to veteran player Crimsix. “Pissed off” on September 24, Crim unloaded on the CDL org on Twitter. The CDL champion exposed ‘threats’ made to the original lineup, along with accusations of extreme prize pool splits for those remaining. This just pissed me off 1. @Loony makes the people around him better. An often ignored attribute in COD because it cannot be quantified. 2. Ultra forced their full roster of 10 to stay in Toronto in the middle of a pandemic. Threatening to not pay non-starters if they went home. pic.twitter.com/ePMGbt07nx— FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) September 25, 2020 The 2020 world champion first took issue with a clip from the ‘Canadian Esports Podcast’ that looked to discredit Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza.” However, the thread quickly expanded and took aim at the Toronto CDL organization as a whole. “Ultra forced their full roster of 10 to stay in Toronto in the middle of a pandemic,” he said. “Threatening to not pay non-starters if they went home.” Substitutes weren’t allowed to head back home if they wanted pay that was promised in their contracts. Moreover, Carson ‘Brack’ Newberry “had to fight” for permission to “return home for his grandpa’s open-heart surgery. Having not played a single map for the organization all year, “there was absolutely no chance he would’ve been subbed in,” Crimsix confirmed. “A full months worth of salary they aren’t paying me [because] I was with my grandpa during a high-risk open-heart surgery,” Brack soon followed up. With teams down-scaling for the coming Black Ops Cold War season, it appears as though Ultra is looking to make more money than ever from its player contracts. There are rumors floating behind the scenes that “these clowns are wanting a 50/50 prize split” from the new roster. All while “underpaying” those that sign, according to Crimsix. “If the prize split goes up, so must the salary. This is the exact opposite of what they’re doing. One of the most anti-player organizations I’ve seen.” While the CoD community came out in full force to support Loony – as was the original focus of the thread – few others spoke up on the broader situation at Ultra after Crimsix. We’ll be sure to keep you posted if anyone from the organization issues a comment in response to the accusations.

Crimsix claims only three players could replace Arcitys on Atlanta FaZe Twitch: CrimsixThe Call of Duty League offseason rostermania is in full swing, and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has revealed his top three picks for who Atlanta FaZe will want to pick up to replace Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson — and one of them could be a realistic possibility heading into Modern Warfare 2. On Sunday, August 21, Dexerto reported that Arcitys will be joining the Los Angeles Guerrillas for the 2023 CDL season. He is set to be joined by current LAG players Kris ‘Spart’ Cervantez, Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland, and Travis ‘Neptune’ McCloud. The buyout has been paid and the team looks to be in motion. While there were rumors that FaZe were interested in bringing in OpTic Texas’ Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell, he re-signed with OpTic after the roster rumor mill ran rampant, with the 2022 season team running it back for MW2. That leaves Atlanta FaZe down a player, though. Arcitys was a huge influence on their dominant Cold War season, the IGL the team needed to help push them to a level few CoD teams have ever seen. Now, with rumors around role swaps, FaZe are looking for a new Assault Rifle aficionado to lead them back to those unprecedented levels of glory — and Crimsix has named the three players he thinks best fit the mold. “If FaZe does not get Sib … You don’t drop Arcitys for anyone else,” he claimed. “Sib, Dashy… That’s the start of the list, end of the list. It could also be Pred.” While Dashy is now unavailable after signing his new contract with OpTic Texas, Daunte ‘Sib’ Gray and Amer ‘Pred’ Zulbeari will have the interest from a lot of teams after their incredible rookie season performances for Seattle Surge, including a Rookie of the Year award for Pred. While Sib is a more natural fit, able to slide straight into the team with an AR in hand, Pred could come in and allow Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr to move to a flex, thus breaking up the Tiny Terrors SMG duo that has reigned over the league for so many years now. Crimsix himself is also looking for a team, having been dropped by the New York Subliners after their tumultuous season. While he’s claimed things are looking slow, the situation is constantly evolving and he may well find himself on a team when Modern Warfare 2 comes out.

  • Crimsix claims Chicago Huntsmen broke CDL gentlemen’s agreement – Dexerto

Crimsix claims Chicago Huntsmen broke CDL gentlemen’s agreement ActivisionDallas Empire pro player Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has criticized Chicago Huntsmen for supposedly breaking a gentlemen’s agreement during their grand final clash at the Call of Duty League London Home Series. If you have kept tabs on the Call of Duty League’s opening events, it’s no secret that the eClásico rivalry between the teams linked with Team Envy and OpTic Gaming is still going strong on Modern Warfare. While the feud between Crimsix and Huntsmen’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner continues to grow over social media, the 26-year-old may have added more fuel to the fire during his February 16 Twitch broadcast. After losing their opening two series against the Huntsmen, Empire found themselves locking horns with the Chicago squad for the third time in two events in the finale of the London Home Series, the first CDL event to feature an eight-team bracket format. Of course, Crimsix was out for revenge after taking two 3-1 defeats at the hands of the team, but the slaying power of Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper proved too strong in their first map on Azhir Cave. Looking back over the footage from their titanic clash in England’s capital, Crimsix realized that Huntsmen were using three stun grenades during their Hardpoint clash — which, according to the Empire star, goes against the gentlemen’s agreement created by the pro teams. “Three stuns… When the [gentlemen’s agreement] is two stuns, two flashes and one smoke,” C6 shared. The former world champ went on to explain how stuns are more overpowered on Azhir Cave, too. “On the one map where stuns are like that, I think stuns are f**king better than flashes as is,” Porter continues. “Cave is the epitome of running through smokes – and what counters that? Stuns.” Crimsix then went on to explain how Huntsmen’s use of stuns throughout the entire series has a different effect on how their team would counter that meta. “Point is, on that map, if that [gentlemen’s agreement] didn’t exist, our team would probably be running f**king four stuns,” he contested. Porter continued: “Even if it doesn’t affect the game, it’s just a f**king matter of principle, you know. Past is the past, we still got second. They ran three stuns the whole series, which also impacts [Search & Destroy].” C6 claimed that pro teams are “roasting the f**k” out of Chicago Huntsmen now that the situation is public, while stating that it was the second time that the team had broken previously agreed terms after Envoy supposedly ran a Ghillie suit on Azhir Cave, something which Crimsix admits is “minor.” When prompted as to whether CDL London would have ended differently in a situation where Huntsmen didn’t use three stuns, Crim admitted that he didn’t know, but suggested that if the playing field was even, then you could chalk the loss off to better tactics from the opposition. But given that Huntsmen were using items restricted by the gentlemen’s agreement, this is not the case. Following the information surfacing, the Empire AR said that both teams had a discussion and the members of Huntsmen stated that it was an “honest mistake.” However, the CoD veteran appeared skeptical over their response, saying: “At the end of the day, imagine if they accidentally ran two smokes and said that it was an honest mistake. That’s bullsh*t, you know?” While Huntsmen did not strictly break any of the rules stipulated by the CDL competitive settings, gentlemen’s agreements are implemented by pro teams to stop overpowered weapons, items, or strategies from dominating the game, and it is expected that every player adheres to these when playing on LAN. Fans are enjoying the back-and-forth between both teams, but they will have to wait until Dallas’ home series on March 28-29 to see them both potentially compete against one another again.

  • Crimsix calls out “shameless” Vanguard ranked play opponent with hacking accusations – Dexerto

Crimsix calls out “shameless” Vanguard ranked play opponent with hacking accusations Activision/New York SublinersCall of Duty League pro and three-time world champion Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter called out an opponent in Vanguard ranked play, accusing them of hacking with aim-lock during their match. Crimsix is considered by many to be the GOAT of Call of Duty. With three world championships and almost 40 major championships won, he has proven himself to be one of the best players in the game for the last decade, and has come up against the best too. Since he’s grown used to playing against those who can get insane kills or make the high IQ plays, he’s also become astute at spotting players who are maybe just a little too good, even by Call of Duty League standards. That’s exactly what happened during a Vanguard ranked stream, when he called out opponent ‘MAGS’ for what he deemed to be suspicious plays. He hit some flawless shots and appeared to be watching players through walls, leaving Crimsix with no doubt that the player was hacking. They ended up losing this game too, shameless scenes from your least favorite Hot Topic employee, “”MAGS””#fightcrime pic.twitter.com/lJwmnQyTEa — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 30, 2022 He called it “shameless scenes,” saying that MAGS was “aim-locking confirmed” during their matchup. Howeverm, MAGS himself responded to Crimsix’s claims, denying the accusations and even offering a PC check. “Once again PC check anytime,” he said. “I offered you, simply jumped over a box and you ran up the alley. If I cheated, I would have won the game.” Once again PC check anytime. I offered you, simply jumped over a box and you ran up the ally. If I cheated, I would of won the game. GGs — MAGS (@MRKNMags) June 30, 2022 Crim went on to joke that even Atlanta FaZe’s McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel, who ranks 2nd in the CoD League for K/D, would’ve missed at least one bullet. Cellium online on 10,000/10,000 is even missing at least 1 bullet — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 30, 2022 There’s no categorical proof that MAGS was using any cheats, but Crimsix himself is convinced that they’re not playing fair. With the RICOCHET anti-cheat still operating in Vanguard and Warzone, if MAGS is cheating, it’ll likely be detected before long.

  • Crimsix calls for CoD community to stop constant hate against Parasite – Dexerto

Crimsix calls for CoD community to stop constant hate against Parasite ActivisionCall of Duty legend Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has called for the community to stop its barrage of slander towards Black Ops 2 world champion Chris ‘Parasite’ Duarte after a serious moment of self-reflection. While Crimsix has earned himself GOAT status in the eyes of many fans and his peers, Parasite’s standing in the community has slowly diminished since his world championship win. He’s still clearly a talented player, regularly placing well in Call of Duty Challengers tournaments, but his reputation has taken hits over time and he’s never quite made his way back to the top. He’s also a player that has been frequently criticized by the community in the past — but Crim thinks it’s time for that to change. In a tweet posted on September 7, Crimsix wrote a lengthy statement explaining why a moment of self-realization made him open his eyes to Parasite’s treatment in recent years. “My brain jumped to the ‘trend to blame/hate on Haggy’ and I was legitimately disgusted in myself,” he said after he received his lent-out PC back with a dislodged motherboard. “Most people in the community would roast Haggy over this due to his rep.” “Mistakes happen and maybe y’all can start treating him equally and with respect. Tired of seeing the slander people give him… He is who he is and none of you can sit here and judge his effort he puts in day in and day out.” My initial reaction once I saw this made me sick to my stomach. We gotta be better. Things need to change regarding @Parasite. pic.twitter.com/I9K4epA6p2 — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) September 7, 2021 Crim let Parasite borrow his PC for Challengers Champs and the motherboard came back dislodged, which would be understandably frustrating, but Crim admits it probably happened in transit. All is clearly well, though, with Parasite responding that “at least the PC works,” so it’s not completely ruined for the three-time world champion. Whether Crimsix’s tweet helps alter community sentiment towards Parasite (or Haggy) remains to be seen, but at the very least, he’s doing his best to diminish the comments Parasite has to face.

  • Crimsix backs “underrated” Slacked after CoD pro is snubbed by CDL teams – Dexerto

Crimsix backs “underrated” Slacked after CoD pro is snubbed by CDL teams Dallas Empire/MLGCall of Duty legend Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has backed fellow pro player Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry, after Slacked revealed he is set for a period in the Challengers League with no CDL teams willing to take him. While not a competitor for the title of best player of all time, Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry has consistently proven himself to be among the very best Call of Duty professionals in the world. He has won a host of major tournaments, most recently CWL Fort Worth in Black Ops 4 and CWL Birmingham in WWII. However, the Modern Warfare season proved incredibly challenging for Slacked and his Seattle Surge roster. The team were barely competitive at any tournament, and three-time CoD World Champion Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow announced his retirement amid their struggles. Now, as the Call of Duty League heads towards its second season, it seems the Surge’s struggles are fresh in the minds of the powers that be, because Slacked is set to face a season in the Challengers portion of the League. Slacked to miss out on CDL? On October 30, the ex-Luminosity pro tweeted that he was “shocked” at how the offseason has gone so far, with offers from CDL teams essentially non-existent. “[I’m] still a F/A and looking like challengers,” he said. “Won back to back to back to back titles & had the best average placing before MW out of anyone other than the OpTic dynasty. So sad how the CoD scene is ran nowadays.” CoD World Champion and all-time great Crimsix involved himself in the discussion, backing his fellow pro to find a CDL team ahead of the new season. “CDL teams… cmon guys…” he tweeted. “Slacked is a prime example of a player who makes the people around him better. Consistent for years and, in my humble opinion, severely underrated in terms of what he can bring to a team.” CDL teams…. cmon guys…. Slacked is a prime example of a player who makes the people around him better. Consistent for years and imho, severely underrated in terms of what he can bring to a team. https://t.co/C6okSZuqUE — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) October 30, 2020 The endorsement, particularly from one of the very best to ever play Call of Duty, is a big compliment for Slacked. Whether it sees him picked up by a CDL outfit remains another issue, but it’s clear that at least some of those at the very top believe Slacked has what it takes to perform at the highest level. The second CDL season is set to be fascinating, with Nadeshot’s 100 Thieves set to acquire the spot previously held by Los Angeles OpTic, and rumors that the Greenwall brand will find its way back to H3CZ in Chicago. We’ll be the first to update you if it does.

Crimsix and Shotzzy, having won the Winners Bracket, had the advantage of needing only to win one series, while Clayster and iLLeY needed to win two to claim first place. The first series started on Stack, which Clayster and iLLeY won, but Crimsix and Shotzzy evened things up with a 6-4 victory on Speedball. However, Clayster and co. staved off elimination by winning 6-4 on Docks to reset the bracket and force a second, winner-take-all match. The second Grand Final series started on the new Winter Docks map, which Crimsix and Shotzzy won 6-4 to take a 1-0 lead. Once again, Clayster and iLLeY were able to stay alive by winning game two on King 6-4, setting up an all-or-nothing map three. As if scripted for the occasion, the third map went nearly the distance, but Shotzzy clutched up for a huge kill to win the round, map, match, and tournament all with one shot of his weapon. Final placements, prize breakdown, bracket Here are the final placements for the December 20 running of the Code Red Gunfight tournament, including the share of the $25,000 prize pool that the top three teams won. Here is the finalized bracket for this competition, including the final scores for all matches in both the Winners and Losers Brackets. That wraps up 2020 for BoomTV and the Code Red tournament series. With how popular these competitions have been, fans can expect there to be a lot more in the new year.

  • Crimsix and Scump agree to end their Call of Duty beef for the New Year – Dexerto

Crimsix and Scump agree to end their Call of Duty beef for the New Year Instagram, @iancrimsix / @huntsmenThanks to an old OpTic Gaming clip and the promise of a New Years kiss, the Call of Duty League’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner have finally decided to end their beef. For what feels like ages, CoD fans have wondered if Crimsix and Scump, two of the game’s most iconic players, would ever reach reconciliation. In reality, their relationship only soured in the past couple years, following five seasons atop professional Call of Duty’s ranks as teammates on OpTic Gaming. But during the Black Ops 4 season, OpTic’s relationships began to turn and, as made evident in the CDL roster reshuffling, Crimsix and Scump could no longer coexist. As explained by C6 during the CDL offseason, the team’s beef got to the point where they all “hated each other” in 2019. That squabbling turned to disassembly, with Scump reaching out to Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper to team in the CDL’s inaugural season and preferring not to play with Crim. The former two went to the Chicago Huntsmen, now OpTic Chicago, and the latter to the Dallas Empire. Now, following his CDL Championship, Crim has publicly reached out to make (romantic) amends with his former teammate. Yo drop beef if I be your New Years kiss? @scump https://t.co/DrrRYfawGw — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) December 30, 2020 Pulling up the nostalgia of their former banter, Crimsix promises Scump a New Year’s kiss if they ‘drop the beef.’ In the replies, Scump expressed surprise at the sudden reconciliatory attempt before quickly agreeing: “Leave it in 2020.” For those hoping that the beef would continue to heat up in 2021, this news will be unfortunate. The motivational OpTic Gaming poster is probably coming down, the “rent free” comments won’t be as venomous and no, Crimsix will likely not be using his $22,000 night-vision goggles to sabotage OpTic’s facilities. With a meme about the two kissing and making up followed by a video of sheer emotion, the fruit of friendship may finally be blossoming. And the lyrics in Scump’s reply, from The Fray’s “How to Save a Life,” are enough to make a grown CoD fan cry. Read more: Scump’s best AK-74u class – “Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend — somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life.” No word yet on if C6 and Scump will be staying up to play Warzone or Black Ops Cold War together, but, on the plus side, the power of a kiss seems to have saved their friendship.

  • Crimsix and Kenny get into heated argument after OpTic beats 100 Thieves – Dexerto

Crimsix and Kenny get into heated argument after OpTic beats 100 Thieves There was a heated back-and-forth between OpTic Gaming star Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams on Twitter after 100 Thieves fell to the Greenwall in scrims on Thursday, November 8. In the moments after the conclusion of the scrim, which OpTic won 6-1 on map count, Crimsix sent a tweet to Williams, stating: “Keep grinding little guy, you’ll get it!” Kenny was clearly not impressed by Porter’s comments, firing back by telling him not to “get too hyped over online, we saw what happened last year,” referencing his successful spell as part of Team Kaliber during a season in which OpTic failed to win any championships. I’m confused? Don’t get too hyped over online, we seen what happen last year:crazy: — :flag-ph:100T Kenny (@KuavoKenny) November 9, 2018 Porter responded that while he was aware it was only a scrim, he had heard that Kenny had been trash talking OpTic on stream, even going as far as saying: “Fuck the fans,” – a claim that Williams immediately rejected, clarifying that he only trolled OpTic fans who came into his Twitch chat to gloat. When did I say this? OG fans came in talking shit and I did nothing but troll them lol never once said “”Fuck them”” — :flag-ph:100T Kenny (@KuavoKenny) November 9, 2018 Crimsix conceded he may have been mistaken, stating that he believed he saw a comment on the Competitive CoD Reddit. Kenny’s teammate Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat felt that Crimsix should have confirmed Williams had made the comments before he came at him on Twitter, saying: “So you just believed some random thing on the internet and then came at him, without even checking to make sure he said it? Your fanbase instantly believes anything you guys say, come on.” wait so you just believed some random thing on the internet and then came at him without checking to make sure he said it??? jfc and your fanbase instantly believes anything you guys say. Cmon — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) November 9, 2018 In the end, 100 Thieves CEO, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, stepped in and ended the disagreement, asking his players to keep their heads down “and not sweat the noise and comments.” Haag also congratulated Crimsix, telling him to “keep crushing it” and that his squad was “playing out of their minds.” My guys, chill out. We all good. Austin and Kenny, you know how the hive mind can be, just keep your head down and don’t sweat the noise and comments. Nothing wrong with a little fire. Crim, keep crushing it. You guys are disgusting and are playing out of your minds.:skin-tone-2::raised_hands::skin-tone-2: — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) November 9, 2018 This isn’t the first time this season that OpTic have found themselves embroiled in a social media feud. Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and the rest of his teammates were upset at eUnited, when the organization changed the colors on their social media accounts to green and grey, stating that they were dressing up as a “Top 24 Champs team” for Halloween. That conflict continued into the first CWL 2K of the Black Ops 4 season, with OpTic refusing to replay a map against eUnited and claiming that their social media antics were to blame. The next major Call of Duty tournament will be the CWL 2K Online tournament, which starts on Sunday, November 11. Unfortunately, these teams won’t get to face off against each other on LAN until December 7, when the first Black Ops 4 event of the year takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Crimsix and FormaL clash following comments over being dropped by OpTic – Dexerto

Crimsix and FormaL clash following comments over being dropped by OpTic Pexels, iStock / Call of Duty LeagueCall of Duty royalty clashed after Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter responded to a clip of Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper saying he would have dropped the now-Dallas Empire star way back during their OpTic Gaming Dynasty days. This quip by FormaL about dropping former teammates immediately boiled over with the two former CoD World Champions going at each other, revealing parts of their past that took fans by surprise. During OpTic’s “Truth Pong,” FormaL had a quick answer after getting a question that read: “Who do you wish you dropped, but never did?” He said he would have dropped Crim back during the Black Ops 3 days, the era right before Infinite Warfare where the Optic boys would eventually win a World Championship ring. The answer drummed up a response form C6, who wasn’t about to take the swipe lying down. Plot twist, I get dropped, during the year I join nV in place of Jkap, cremsux still win champs Hold that Jack black — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) June 8, 2021 “Plot twist, I get dropped, during the year I join nV in place of Jkap, cremsux still win champs,” he said. “Hold that, Jack Black” “That plot would be sweet!” FormaL retorted. “Except the way it actually went is you went in broken with camo, game in your hands, and failed.” One of the biggest revelations brought to the table was Crim bashing FormaL for allegedly going back on a team-wide pact in 2017 to split the CoD World Champ MVP payment among the OpTic roster. LMAO that’s your response? You should just be happy you got a free ring for literally doing meh the whole tournament. — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) June 8, 2021 Formal when they asked for their mvp cut pic.twitter.com/MqtqyM0VZw — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) June 8, 2021 While FormaL didn’t directly address the allegation, he hinted that Crim should just be happy for getting hardware out of OpTic’s 2017 World Championship run despite his form at the time. Discover more: Top 10 CDL Plays | Florida Mutineers Home Series – “Sounds like how you failed to split the MVP payment with the 3 teammates,” Crim said. “Even though we all agreed on doing this if we won it. Imagine scumming your brothers outta $6-7k because of pure selfishness and ego. “And I don’t even give a flying fuck about the money, it’s the thought of looking you in the face and realizing that this human being in front of me actually fucking did that, that you’re capable of doing that.” You hold that online one dear to your heart huh? Acting like you didn’t get son’d by Sam at the previous one and even worse by Pat the one before that. — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) June 8, 2021 Meanwhile, FormaL discredited two of Crim’s three World Championships, outright saying he gifted Crim a “free ring” in 2017 and took a jab at the 2020 accomplishment, noting that it was won in the online era of esports. The two are world-class Call of Duty players and some of the best trash talkers from the old-days of the esport. The drama only fuels the demand to hopefully see an OpTic vs Empire matchup in the CDL’s upcoming Stage 4 Major, following this week’s LA Thieves Home Series.

  • Crimsix accuses OpTic CoD of being “mentally checked out” after getting thrashed by eUnited – Dexerto

Crimsix accuses OpTic CoD of being “mentally checked out” after getting thrashed by eUnited MLG – TwitterStar Call of Duty professional Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter thinks his OpTic Gaming team isn’t in the right state of mind at the moment, following a string of disappointing performances at the CWL Pro League. The regular season of the CWL Pro League wrapped up on July 5, as OpTic Gaming finished with the best record in Division A, having clinched first place with several matches to spare. However, according to Crimsix, cementing their place atop the division so early may have had negative effects on the team for the final few matches, with the crucially important postseason phase of the Pro League yet to come. “Team has been mentally checked out after securing first,” he tweeted. “No comment on the gameplay, because we aren’t really playing/scrimming at all before these matches. Get me home please.” “Obviously it’s unacceptable,” he added. “But those matches actually really mean nothing.” (Obviously it’s unacceptable, but those matches actually really mean nothing) — Ian Porter (@OpTic_Crimsix) July 5, 2019 The matches that Crimsix was referring to are the ones that OpTic played in the final week of the regular season, which was arguably their worst stretch yet in the Pro League. Coming into Week 12 with a monstrous winning streak, the Green Wall barely squeaked by Team Heretics and Elevate, the latter of which required a miraculous 2v5 in round 11 of the fifth map to win. The performances didn’t get better from there, while the results worsened. The third match of the week say OpTic end up on the wrong end of a shocking sweep at the hands of a struggling Team Envy, who finished six games under .500. In their final match, the one played write before Crim put out his tweets, the boys in green were handled by eUnited 3-1, in a match that they looked like they really had no chance of winning. While what Crim said is true, that none of the results of those four matches meant anything in terms of their positioning in Division A, it may have some longer term effects, especially when considering that the Playoffs are only a couple of weeks away. OpTic won’t have much time to right their ship, as they’re due to start off the postseason by facing the winner of Team Heretics and one of the finalists from the Play-In tournament, which could very easily be Envy again. CWL Finals – Everything you need to know Held July 19-21 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida, CWL Finals will mark the conclusion of the long Pro League season, ahead of next month’s CWL Championship. • Crimsix accuses #2 ranked Vanguard player of blatantly hacking with aimbot – Dexerto

Crimsix accuses #2 ranked Vanguard player of blatantly hacking with aimbot Activision/New York SublinersCall of Duty League pro and three-time world champion Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has accused one of the top-ranked players in the Vanguard leaderboards of cheating, as hacks run rampant in the upper echelons of the game’s ranked mode. We saw Pplehx accidentally expose his cheats on stream, while sitting in second in the Vanguard ranked leaderboard. Another player, Cha1n, who played a lot with Pplehx, also saw a huge SR deduction from games played with Pplehx, after having been top of the rankings for such a long time. While there are many legitimate and even pro players in the top 250 on Vanguard ranked, and Doug ‘Censor’ Martin finally claimed the top spot after a lengthy grind, Crimsix believes there are still a lot of hackers at the top. “So I’m playing some ranked, not streaming and neither is anyone in the game, notice that my teammate is hacking but he’s moving around the map like he’s showcasing the graphics of a new game at E3,” he said. “Anyways, the other team starts blatantly aim-locking back. When I go to report him to the appropriate authorities, I notice he’s Top250. I go check, he’s #2 on the board.” He even claimed to have text Censor to say “a hacker is on your a**hole” and added that “Doug is undeniable.” While a number of players, including world champion Chris ‘Parasite’ Duarte, came to the players’ defense, they tweeted Crimsix themselves and have been posting about the situation. He simply said “LMAO I’m crying” before adding “I don’t even know what I could have done to have him accuse me to this level.” i didn’t even do that good against him lmao idek what i could have done to have him accuse me to this level — Joe (@JoeDeceives) April 21, 2022 Clearly, players are split over whether JoeDeceives is hacking, but he and many others are insistent on his innocence. While Call of Duty does have the RICOCHET anti-cheat system, players have complained about its ineffectiveness, and it has made a lot of people skeptical of when players are simply good.

  • Cricket World Champion Jofra Archer hates Warzone explosives – Dexerto

Cricket World Champion Jofra Archer hates Warzone explosives IG: JofraArcher/Infinity WardJofra Archer, Cricket World Cup winner and England fast bowler, has hilariously hit out at Warzone over the strength of explosives, joking that he is close to reporting his opponents. Archer, much like Warzone, exploded onto the scene and has become adored by fans across the world. Despite being just 24 years old at the time, he bowled England’s super over in the 2019 Cricket World Cup Final against New Zealand, winning the tournament for England for the first time. He has since shared his experiences with Call of Duty, including some sniping from 2017’s CoD: WWII. It seems he plays this year’s Modern Warfare too, joining Warzone streamer WarsZ for some live matches. Archer and WarsZ, the latter perhaps best known as the Warzone Wednesday partner of Vikkstar, teamed up for some squad matches, racking up a few impressive wins. One game in particular saw the squad come out with 50 kills between them, with WarsZ racking up 30 on his own. Archer, however, secured the win with a clutch two-piece at the very end. Despite the wins and the abundance of eliminations, Archer has some issues with aspects of Warzone – namely how powerful explosives are. This is not a particularly new complaint, with a host of community members calling for nerfs to RPGs and C4s. While Trophy Systems on vehicles can protect against some explosives, C4s are immune and can, if thrown onto a vehicle, blow it up and instantly kill everyone inside. This doesn’t seem too popular with the cricketer, who brilliantly tweeted that he’s going to report players who C4 his vehicle. We’re sure a whole host of Warzone players will agree with Archer, with many players echoing his views that vehicles are too easy to blow up. Proximity Mines left in the road, for example, will blow up a vehicle if they are driven over. Others argue that vehicles need sufficient counters as a result of being able to run people over. C4s are just one counter to discourage players trying to run over enemies. Archer, however, appears to come down on the side of the former argument.

  • Creepy Warzone bug is transforming guns into unreleased alien reactive camo – Dexerto

Creepy Warzone bug is transforming guns into unreleased alien reactive camo Activision / Pixabay, Stefan KellerAfter Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 launched, players have reported some interesting bugs — including one creepy one that turns your M16 into an unreleased, wildly grotesque, skeletal Mastercraft (and possible reactive camo). A lot of Warzone fans appreciate the game’s cosmetics, and when Black Ops Cold War launched, the introduction of Treyarch’s infamous Mastercraft and reactive camo blueprints was very exciting for the aesthetically inclined. Among the more popular Mastercrafts around, the Krig 6’s Ice Drake is an obvious favorite — as the gun goes full energy, looking like an icy dragon with frosted wings. But some players have started stumbling into a hellish, similarly monstrous camo. Apparently called the “Incubator,” something in Warzone’s files is transforming people’s M16 rifles into a creepy, living organism. With moving bones, discolored organs, and green tracers, this is one of the weirder bugs in Warzone history. As shared by Reddit’s CraftZ49, they went into a game of Warzone with a Western Front M16 blueprint equipped, only to find out that their gun had been fully disfigured. Showing their inspect animation in a video, you can see just how…detailed the gun is. Letting out high-pitched squeaks when CraftZ49 pokes it, the gun seems to be some sort of alien organism with bones and rotting flesh. At a certain point, it seems to even try and attack its wielder. But the trigger works just fine and, when pressed, unleashes neon green tracers that leave some sort of “plague splatter” (in the Redditor’s own words). If you compare this M16 version to the normal one, it’s even more obvious that the design is incredibly elaborate. And this one doesn’t just look different than normal guns, it interacts with its owner and makes creepy little sounds. At the moment, however, developers Raven Software have yet to take note of this bug as it has not been added to their Trello board for known glitches. Even if they were aware of it, there are much more pressing issues to deal with first — like an exploit that lets people go underneath Stadium for free wins. Still, getting an unreleased Mastercraft for free is interesting and this bug deserves some attention. (Especially because it kind of looks like one.)

  • Crazy Warzone XP trick gets players gold camos in the “fastest” way – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone XP trick gets players gold camos in the “fastest” way ActivisionA simple Warzone Clash XP trick gives way to one of the ‘fastest’ methods of farming gold camos by turning AFK boosters into fodder for leveling up. To access new camos and attachments, Warzone players need to grind kills, contracts and everything in between. But some simply leave their game on and go AFK to get passive XP while they’re not playing. Players have been trying to game the system since Warzone was released. In an interesting turnaround though, some have now uncovered a way to take advantage of Warzone’s AFK farmers for an even quicker way to scale levels. We’ve seen plenty of Warzone leveling tricks in the past, but some players are finding this to be the fastest way yet to grind XP. Warzone XP farming off AFK players In Warzone Crash, every AFK Warzone player will end up generally in the same area after a match gets started. User ‘JustLawlyOnTwitch’ found the motherload of XP when they came across a field of unmanned characters in the game. “Found the fastest weapon XP, fastest way to unlock gold camo,” they said. Through the course of one game, the player managed to rack up 104 for a match total of 83,936 XP. The player noted that this can happen in a lot of Warzone modes since these AFK accounts typically auto-join the matchmaking queue after one game ends. This can theoretically happen in just about any Clash game, but getting to the XP fodder could prove to be the trickiest part. “Snipe the AFK from far away with the HDR,” the player recommended. “ [Or] get a car and put a flare near the spot you wanna snipe from. Easy farm.” As far as raking in Warzone XP, there isn’t a better way to quickly amass thousands of points that can go toward leveling up the weapon of your choice.

  • Crazy Warzone truck bug teleports players across the map – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone truck bug teleports players across the map Treyarch/ActivisionA Warzone player has discovered a bug after being hit by a truck and spontaneously teleported halfway across the Verdansk map. Despite entering its fourth season, Warzone has still not managed to shake its reputation for bugs and glitches. Although some can be incredibly funny to experience, others can completely ruin a match and leave a player feeling extremely frustrated. There have been so many of these glitches that we’ve even compiled a list of the worst in Warzone’s short history. Now, another has been discovered after a player was teleported halfway across Verdansk, seemingly out of the blue. It occurred after they were hit by a truck during a game of Quads. Warzone player discovers teleport glitch Although Warzone’s Season 4 update added a set of mysterious red doors to the game that operate as teleporters, ESPNFantasySucks appears to have found another way to fast travel across the map. While playing Quads in Warzone, the player attempted to escape an enemy truck that was heading right for them. Unable to make it through the window of a building, ESPNFantasySucks got downed, but during animation, seemingly teleported across the entire map. This resulted in them being eliminated as they were left in the gas, miles outside of the safe zone. It was obvious they were confused by the bug and their reaction after opening the in-game map says it all. It’s unclear why ESPNFantasySucks was teleported from Salt Mine to Downtown instantly after being run over. It appears to be related to the fact that the player was pushed up against a wall when making contact with the truck. Although it’s unlikely this bug will affect too many players in Warzone, it’s worth knowing just in case you’re attempting to escape a vehicle. Let’s hope Raven can figure out why this happening and potentially implement a fix in a future patch.

  • Crazy Warzone trick lets players inside Golden Vault, but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone trick lets players inside Golden Vault, but there’s a catch ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s Rebirth Reinforced event has taken hold of the battle royale, and with it comes a mysterious Golden Vault. But one player has seemed to have accessed it ahead of schedule. Teased through the current Rebirth Reinforced event, the Warzone community has been on their toes as yet another mysterious vault event has descended upon the island. Reminiscent of the bunker challenges found on Verdansk, players have been patiently waiting to make their entrance into the golden vault located on Rebirth Island. Comprised of three vaults to enter, the locked bunkers have been standing idle and mocking the community as players await the day to see what’s behind their smug barriers. But that has suddenly changed as one player, in particular, has found a way to get a sneak preview. Warzone trick lets players inside Golden Vault Twitter user BobNetworkUK is the first to discover the Golden Vault trick. Standing in front of one of the Golden Vault entrances, the Twitter user waits for his teammate to knock him inside. The jeep drives full speed straight into BobNetworkUK’s operator and messes up the first attempt. Repositioning himself in front of the secret bunker, his teammate hits him and successfully launches him inside of the vault. Warzone trick allows entrance, but there is a catch Now inside the bunker, the Twitter user finds that everything inside the vault is fully functional. From loot chests to equipment there is plenty to use, but unfortunately, they’re not that great or helpful. The biggest catch of this whole trick is that BobNetworkUK realizes he can’t get out of the Golden Vault. Thats right, once you get into the bunker utilizing the trick, there is no way to exit, rendering the game unplayable from that point. So try the trick at your risk. But what is in these Golden Vaults? 🤔 💵 pic.twitter.com/0iknU6FJAi — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) April 7, 2022 While the loot in the chests appears to be rather useless, it could be possible that the items were there as a placeholder just in case a player found a way to get inside. To honestly know whether or not that is the real reward, the community will have to complete Warzone Rebirth Reinforced challenge #44.

  • Crazy Warzone trick can give players $30K within 30 seconds of landing – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone trick can give players $30K within 30 seconds of landing ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players are stunned after a weirdly simple trick was discovered that lets players make a whopping $30,000 within just 30 seconds of landing. There’s been a lot of talk about money in Warzone since the start of the Pacific. While there was plenty of cash to go around in the beginning, the devs have since nerfed cash flow – making it harder to secure loadouts and streaks. While completing contracts and getting kills are typically ways to stack your bread, some players have found them dissatisfactory. One gamer, in particular, has now found success in the hunt for quick cash. Reddit’s ‘jamcowl’ demonstrated how you can make $30,000 within 30 seconds of landing in Caldera. All you need is an anti-aircraft truck and some passion. Warzone trick gives you $30,000 in 30 seconds Warzone not only added AA trucks to Caldera, but also a special NPC-controlled vehicle called an Armored Convoy Truck. Destroying the latter gives players a ton of loot, including bags upon bags of cash, as well as an armor satchel, killstreaks, and Nebula V rounds. With that many goodies at stake, it’s no surprise that the convoys can tank a lot of damage. But, as jamcowl demonstrates, there’s a simple way to take them out almost instantly. Landing directly onto an AA truck in the Mines POI, jamcowl switches to the gunner’s seat and – instead of aiming the AA gun at the sky – takes aim at the convoy. Within moments, the vehicle is obliterated and jamcowl is able to drive over and secure their reward. In the Reddit replies, people were very impressed by the new trick. One person was shocked, noting that “these turtle truck armored f**ks take a ton of damage normally, [but] that AA gun obliterated it.” In response, jamcowl revealed how long it will take players to destroy the convoys without an AA gun. According to their calculations, the trucks can be destroyed with 4-6 rockets or 150-200 rounds of AR ammo. The AA gun, by contrast, can be downed “in a single burst of AA fire before it even overheats once.”

  • Crazy Warzone Loadout Drop glitch drops hundreds of weapons – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone Loadout Drop glitch drops hundreds of weapons ActivisionA bizarre Warzone bug causes this squad’s Loadout Drop to disappear after one person collects it. However it then dropped hundreds of the selected loadout for the rest of the team. The Season Four Reloaded update has brought its fair share of content to Warzone. From new weapons and killstreaks to new game modes this update has Call of Duty fans excited to play the game. Players have been dropping into Verdansk and, to no surprise, there have been some glitches that squads have encountered. These players were definitely mind blown when they ran into this latest Loadout Drop bug that didn’t let all the members of the squad pick what loadout to run in this game. Warzone Loadout Drop performs magic trick Getting a Loadout Drop in Warzone significantly helps a player because it allows them to use guns with the attachments and perks that they find ideal. This latest bug caused a player to select his loadout, and then have his selected loadout on the ground for everyone else, but it might have dropped a bit too many. In the clip you see a player climb the ladder to select his loadout. After doing so the box disappears as it usually does, but drops hundreds of the loadout that the player selected. The squad drops down the ladder to find enough Grau 5.56s and AK-74us to donate to most of the lobby. The community had some funny reactions to this bug. One Redditor channeled their inner Oprah Winfrey, writing “You get a Grau! You get a Grau! EVERYBODY GETS A GRAU!!” This bug could have a huge impact on the late game aspect but at the time of writing it appears to only be a bug and not an exploit. So it is unclear if players can abuse this and have an infinite amount of ammo.

  • Crazy Warzone hitscan bug makes the AX-50 deadlier than ever – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone hitscan bug makes the AX-50 deadlier than ever ActivisionWarzone bugs are usually met with an overwhelmingly negative response from the community — but a bug making the AX-50 a hitscan weapon in the Season 3 Reloaded update has players racing to try it out before it’s gone. The AX-50 has been around since the start of Warzone and was once a go-to sniper in Verdansk because of its accessibility and mobility. Before long, Warzone players discovered the Kar98k and it quickly overtook the AX-50 as the preferred marksman rifle in medium to long-range engagements. An unintended bug returns the AX-50 into the spotlight, making the sniper an absolute must-use before the hitscan bug is fixed. What is hitscan? As Warzone content creator JGOD explained in a Youtube video released on May 25, hitscan is an “instantaneous bullet registration without bullet drop, so that when you pull the trigger wherever your crosshairs are, that is where the registration will happen up to 400 meters.” In short, this means that wherever you aim the AX-50, it will hit, so you don’t have to account for bullet drop or velocity when aiming at enemies further away. A similar bug occurred in Verdansk that made the SP-R 208 hit scan up to 200 meters. The AX-50 bug is even more extreme, allowing any target to be reached without bullet drop up to 400 meters. JGOD’s hitscan AX-50 loadout JGOD recommends a class built around ADS speed and suppression because hitscan allows you to ignore the range and bullet velocity of a gun. Here’s what he recommends: Muzzle: Lightweight Suppressor – Barrel: 17.0″ Factory Barrel – Lazer: Tac Lazer – Stock: Singuard Arms Assassin – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape – Just as the SP-R 208 was patched shortly after being converted to hit scan the AX-50 is sure to be reverted to normal soon, so now is your chance to give it a go.

  • Crazy Warzone glitch spawns phantom players around loadout drops – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone glitch spawns phantom players around loadout drops ActivisionA Call of Duty: Warzone player has discovered a new glitch that finds phantoms spawning onto the battlefield and calling in loadouts. Throughout Call of Duty: Warzone’s life span, we have encountered some bizarre bugs that gave the community its fair share of headaches. Players have encountered exploits that have transformed them into invincible beings and even issues that allowed combatants to shoot other players through various roofs. But it seems yet another issue has been discovered. A player has discovered a bug that allows phantom players to spawn into the map and call in loadouts. Warzone player discovered phantom glitch that calls in loadouts Uncovered by Facebook Gaming streamer Misses Mae during a trios match, she notices a loadout in the distance and alerts her teammates to check it out. As they approach the supply drop, Misses Mae realizes that another player is also acquiring new weapons from the loadout. The video shows the team finally making their way towards the box, and they realize that the once believed player is actually a phantom standing idly near a loadout. More shocking than that though, her teammates are unable to see the phantom and it was only appearing on Misses Mae’s screen the whole time—what a plot twist. Misses Mae posted a 32-second clip to Twitter asking whether or not anyone else has experienced this issue, and one of her followers commented, “It’s a first for me.” While it appears that this glitch is an isolated incident at the moment, it seems that Warzone’s loadouts have been at the center of various issues within the battle-royale-based shooter. With that being said, if you do notice a player standing idly by a supply drop, you rest assured that it’s a product of this particular glitch.

  • Crazy Warzone FAL loadout gives player wall hacks without actually cheating – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone FAL loadout gives player wall hacks without actually cheating ActivisionA Call of Duty: Warzone player has come up with possibly the strangest loadout around. It uses a FAL, a Snapshot Grenade launcher, and lets you feel like a hacker — seeing and shooting through walls with ease. As Warzone fans continue to deal with a plague of hackers, one ingenious player has devised a way to essentially achieve what those cheaters are capable of… without actually hacking. While aim lock is impossible to recreate, this player’s loadout also does something that cheaters can’t. Reddit’s ‘LordTexugo’ crafted a FAL loadout equipped with a Snapshot Grenade underbarrel launcher and FMJ rounds as a perk attachment. This combination basically allows them to see through walls and then shoot through those walls, with absurd results. LordTexugo shared one such result on Reddit and it quickly went viral, as players reacted by agreeing on one thing: yes, they would 100% report anyone who killed them the way Texugo is able to. As you can see in the clip, Texugo gets an idea of where an enemy might be waiting in ambush using a UAV. They then go up the stairs and get ready for a confrontation. Using the underbarrel, Texugo Snapshots through a thick wall and locates the enemy, laying prone and watching the entrance. So, with wall hacks essentially activated, it’s time for the FMJ and already-potent FAL damage to take over. Texugo quickly shreds through the wall, eliminating the opponent in a way that feels very hacker-esque. This entire technique may feel silly, but it is definitely intriguing. The Snapshot Grenade gives you information a Heartbeat Sensor couldn’t (e.g. the actual position of the enemy), while the FAL already has high-enough damage to take advantage of the FMJ. Normally players are unable to down enemies through the wall Texugo uses, so this loadout really lets you do the impossible. If you’re not worried about getting reported for hacking, this loadout may be the move. After equipping the underbarrel and perk attachments, players have three spots left over — so there’s ways to get even more creative with this class.

  • Crazy Warzone exploit gives players infinite Underbarrel ammo – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone exploit gives players infinite Underbarrel ammo ActivisionA Call of Duty YouTuber has discovered an exploit that grants players infinite Underbarrel ammo in Modern Warfare’s Warzone battle royale. While Modern Warfare has been full to the brim with exploits in its multiplayer, they have been few and far between in Verdansk. Aside from players being able to develop invincibility after buying back their allies in the final circle, there is little in the way of nifty tricks that bend the rules and allow players to get one up on their opponents. While there have been numerous problems (such as the infamous Ghost perk issues) that have affected Warzone gameplay negatively, this trick actually works in players’ favor. Essentially, players need to equip an Underbarrel launcher of their choice to a weapon in their Custom Loadout, and then equip this class by using a loadout drop in-game. Then, players simply need to swap between an item on the ground and their weapon to refresh their Underbarrel ammo, as Acez Gaming demonstrates in their video. Segment starts at 2:45 for mobile users. The crux of the exploit comes due to the fact that (as it currently stands), a player’s baseline Underbarrel magazine is replenished each time they drop their weapon and pick it back up. This isn’t the case for normal weapons’ ammunition stacks, as a player carries them separately to the weapon — meaning a player’s regular ammo is dictated by what stocks they have on their person. Given the plethora of Underbarrel attachments available, there are multiple ways that you can benefit from having unlimited Underbarrel ammo, with everything from Flashbangs to Snapshot grenades. As Acez showed in the clip, the exploit is perfect for providing coverage if your teammates are stuck out in the open, as you can deploy multiple smokes at once and create the perfect blanket coverage to facilitate a quick getaway. Or if you’re holding the top of a building like a fortress, perhaps you could Overkill two weapons with Underbarrel… One with Snapshot rounds for intel, and another with highly explosive rounds to wreak havoc from above.

  • Crazy Warzone exploit completely removes recoil for PC controller players – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone exploit completely removes recoil for PC controller players ActivisionWarzone creator Rara has uncovered a cheating exploit that completely removes recoil when using a controller on PC. Warzone exploits and cheats have been a fairly common thread since the popular battle royale’s release. In fact, the game was once plagued with hackers – whether wallhacks, aimbot or the use of macros – evident in nearly every lobby. However, Warzone’s integration with 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard brought the highly-anticipated RICOCHET anti-cheat system. But, while it may have solved a lot of cheating issues that caused many players to lose interest in Warzone, exploits still exist. In a February 19 video, Warzone creator Rara shared an exploit that can give you no recoil when using DS4 – a widely used application that gives no latency when using a controller on a PC. While many use DS4 for low-latency input purposes, the popular software has other features that can give players no recoil when using the right settings, as demonstrated in Rara’s video. “So you may be wondering are streamers cheating? I don’t know. Most likely no, but I don’t know,” Rara explained. “The problem is, is that I don’t think any of us know!” He continued: “Don’t start going into streamers’ chats and ask if they use DS4, and if they do, don’t assume they must be cheating because that’s not 100% a fact. I didn’t know this was in the program, and I’ve been using it for 2 years now.” Rara added that he’s showcasing the exploit in hopes that it’s patched – and to see which creators and pro players have been abusing it. “I want the developers to see this because it needs to be fixed. But, they need to also understand that the game is in such a bad place that I lowkey want to load this up. Who knows if pro players are using it? We have no idea! “Sure if it gets patched they’ll go back to controlling their own recoil like I do every day,” said Rara. “But, does that change the fact they got to where they are doing this? My point is, it needs to be fixed and I want to see people suffer. I want to see who are the big guys that get outed for it.” Raven and Activision are yet to respond to the news’ emergence, but we hope to see RICOCHET prove adaptable enough to identify and ban those who have been abusing this particular exploit.

  • Crazy Warzone clip is perfect proof Helicopters need to be removed from Solos – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone clip is perfect proof Helicopters need to be removed from Solos ActivisionAn insane Warzone clip shows exactly why the overpowered Attack Helicopters may need to be reconsidered by the devs and removed from Solo lobbies. The sheer size of Warzone’s map gives a need for quick and easy transportation, which happens to come in the form of attack helicopters, quad bikes, cargo trucks, and now even fighter planes with the release of the new map Caldera on December 9. However, while these transportation methods provide useful means to get across the entire map, they’re also deadly – giving players opportunities to slay the lobby in some hilarious ways. Throughout Warzone’s time, we’ve seen helicopters dip in and out of the game. However, the Attack Helicopters returned for the third time with the Pacific Caldera Season 1 update, which included their addition to solo games once again. In a Reddit post on December 25, Warzone player jamcowl showed off their insane clip – bagging 10 kills in a matter of minutes, all while using an attack helicopter. The player even styled on another helicopter at the end of the clip, pulling one of the oldest tricks in the book – ejecting before crashing into the other helicopter. The problem specifically relates to Solos because, in a team-based mode, players would be knocked or have teammates to help protect them. In Solos, being scraped by an enemy helicopter results in an instant ticket to the Gulag. “I’m enjoying the inclusion of helicopters in solos,” said the player, but other Warzone fans weren’t exactly happy. “I think it’s funny and I hate you at the same time,” said one player. “I dislike you, but good job,” said another. Jamcowl ended the game with over 30 kills and, despite what happened at the start, the player was commemorated for his good game by another player. With the devs closed down for the holidays, it’s unlikely we’ll see any changes to Attack Helicopters any time soon. There’s also a huge backlog of bugs and community feedback to get through, so any changes will likely come in early 2022.

  • Crazy Warzone 2 bug is killing players before the match even starts – Dexerto

Crazy Warzone 2 bug is killing players before the match even starts ActivisionA bizarre and infuriating Warzone 2 bug is killing players before matches even begin, booting them out of the transport plane as it approaches Al Mazrah. While Warzone 2 was seen by many as the answer to the first Warzone’s glaring issues, that optimism has given way to disappointment as a series of issues affect the BR sequel. Cheating is noticeably less prevalent, but invasive bugs and glitches continue to affect the average user’s experience, much like they did across the entire lifespan of what is now Warzone Caldera. From players randomly being transported to the Gulag to helicopters becoming de facto submarines, the average multiplayer match is susceptible to an unlimited number of issues. Now, players are being killed by a bug before their Warzone 2 match has even started. Warzone 2 bug kills players before their game begins The bizarre problem was captured by one affected player, who shared their experience on the battle royale’s subreddit on January 19. Attached was a clip showing the transport plane from which players deploy approaching Al Mazrah. However, before it even reached the coastline, the player was booted out of the plane and hit with Warzone 2’s “return to combat area” warning. Despite their best efforts – pulling out a parachute and trying to glide to safety – the game eliminated them long before the first player had even landed. They joked: “New “Fastest Death in WZ” record? The plane sh*t me out before we even reached the playable map… Thanks game!” Plenty of respondents commented that they were not surprised by the issue, given the number of bugs that continue to plague Warzone 2. One said: “I can’t even keep track of all the bugs in this game anymore. It feels like a new one magically appears every couple days.” While the devs do have Trello boards dedicated to identifying, monitoring and fixing bugs, many clearly feel it is failing to scratch the surface. Hopefully, when Season Two drops on February 15, there’ll be a host of glitch corrections in the offing.

  • “Crazy” MW2 LMG brings back one of Warzone’s best meta weapons – Dexerto

“Crazy” MW2 LMG brings back one of Warzone’s best meta weapons ActivisionThere is a “crazy” LMG in Warzone that brings back one of Modern Warfare 2’s best metas, and it’s even easier to control than before. Over the last few years, Warzone has gone through a few different iterations. The original battle royale was dominated by the likes of the KAR98, DMR19, and Grau whilst Warzone Caldera had the EM2, STG44, and Armaguerra 43. Naturally, players have wanted to recreate some of their favorites over the last few years, and have done so with varying degrees of success. We’ve seen plenty of recreations of the original KAR98, for example, as well as the dominant Mac-10 loadouts. Now, Warzone expert TheKoreanSavage has attempted to bring back the original MG38 from Warzone 2.0, and it’s actually pretty “crazy” in the right hands. “Let’s say goodbye to the DG-58 LSW for a second and say hello to the MG38. You guys would be surprised,” he said in his May 26 video. “It’s a nice replacement for LMGs at long-distance ranges and it has no recoil so if you want a no recoil build, this is the way to go.” With it being an LMG, you do need to boost the MG38’s speed, and that’s where the Cheetah STM Stock and Bruen Q900 Grip come into play. The grip boosts ADS speed by 15%, which isn’t shabby at all. Muzzle: Casus Brake L – Barrel: KYZYL Dawn Barrel – Optic: JAK Glassless – Stock: Cheetah STM Stock – Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip – TheKoreanSavage believes the LMG can be better “better” than the more meta DG-58 LSW, but the WZRanked stats don’t back that up. Instead, the MW2 option is sat all the way down in 86th place when it comes to player interest. On the other hand, the DG-58 is all the way up in 15th. The MG38 is still an excellent option, though, even if players haven’t fallen back in love with it yet.

  • Crazy Modern Warfare ‘jamming’ glitch stops players from firing weapon – Dexerto

Crazy Modern Warfare ‘jamming’ glitch stops players from firing weapon Modern Warfare players have discovered a game-breaking ‘jamming’ glitch which prevents them from shooting their weapon when in-game. Infinity Ward’s reboot of their trademark series was welcomed with open arms. Met with praise for their detailed campaign and overhauled multiplayer, Modern Warfare has become the most played Call of Duty game of all time. Yet, it appears that the latest iteration of the first-person shooter is still struggling with bugs and glitches, some overshadowing the player experience. From minor snags (such as death by office chair on St. Petrograd) to game-breaking issues (such as being able to escape Piccadilly’s combat area and almost single-handedly win a game), Modern Warfare has handled its fair share of setbacks. Two Reddit users have spotted a glitch which stops players from using their weapons during multiplayer action — a concept which a first-person shooter kind of relies on. First demonstrated by Diazepam, the player gets behind enemy lines during a Cyber Attack match on Piccadilly. After attempting to shoot their foe, their weapon ‘jams’ and is caught in the middle of the holstering animation. While the player managed to take down one enemy via melee, they were eventually eliminated by another opponent who spotted their antics. Similarly, Drummer829 experienced the same problem, but this time while playing Hardpoint on Grazna Raid. After making a clever run from their spawn, the player has an enemy in their line of sight, only to find that they’re metaphorically ‘stuck in the mud.’ Since the glitch left them helpless, the player had no option but to fall to their foe (despite their best efforts to jump and evade enemy fire). The player went on to describe the glitch at-hand. “The bug is where after running, your gun ‘jams’ and you can’t aim down or shoot,” Drummer opened. “Your guy is stuck like that but you can still melee, switch guns and throw grenades. You can do everything but shoot your gun.” While the bug is only appearing to surface now, another user claimed that the ‘jamming’ animation glitch has been in the game since launch. Various other players chimed in to explain that they too had experienced the glitch, with no recurring theme emerging. Others attempting to laugh it off by jesting: “Maybe it’s another ‘realism’ addition to the game like player collision. Who knows?” One thing is for sure, Infinity Ward will want to get this bug boxed off before the inaugural Call of Duty League kicks off on January 24.

  • Crazy Modern Warfare highlight shows how shotguns can be used as snipers – Dexerto

Crazy Modern Warfare highlight shows how shotguns can be used as snipers Shotguns could be the most powerful weapon-type in Call of Duty community has highlighted why. Modern Warfare released on October 25 and the community has already gravitated towards a few select weapons that seem to stand out among the pack. From the devastating M4A1 Assault Rifle to the MP7 SMG, Call of Duty pros have outlined their favorites to utilize in competition. Yet one surprising weapon type seems to be broken beyond belief and these absurd highlights show why shotguns might be the most powerful weapons in the game today. In a November 4 clip, Reddit user ‘TimbsB’ showcased a ridiculous clip and joked the “725 [shotgun] is the best sniper.” In the midst of a closely contested Ground War match, the player found themselves on top of a skyscraper with a shotgun in hand. Rather than equipping a trustworthy long-range weapon like the AX-50 sniper rifle, they instead opted to keep the shotgun and test their skills from afar. Noticing the glint of a sniper scope on a distant rooftop, the player aimed directly overhead of the enemy and fired a single slug. Having accommodated for projectile speed and bullet-drop, the slug connected and the kill was confirmed just like that. One clip exemplified how shotguns can be surprisingly effective from such a long distance. While it was no easy shot to hit, the fact that shotguns are even capable of competing with sniper rifles in the first place is ripe for controversy. Not only can the weapon type compete with snipers at a long-range, but shotguns have proven to be extremely effective against SMG players as well. Call of Duty veteran and player for the Los Angeles Guerillas, Jacob ‘Decemate’ Cato, shared a sequence of events on Twitter that forced him to back out of a lobby in frustration, stating “I’m off this sh*t.” Having connected with multiple hitmarkers in rapid succession, the pro is quickly turned on and gunned down with a single blast from the opposing shotgun. Quickly respawning and rushing to the B Flag site once again, Decemate is eliminated by the same enemy utilizing a shotgun from a distance. At that range, SMG’s should almost always win the gunfight, however with current weapon balancing shotguns appear to be too strong. im off this shithttps://t.co/4BTCyJYBdi pic.twitter.com/rb3XTm5rNm — JT:mage::skin-tone-2:♂️ (@Decemate) November 4, 2019 One of the most accomplished players in CSGO history, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz even offered his opinion on the issue. Stating that he had “been playing CoD all day” and that Counter-Strike players “can’t complain about weapon balancing.” “The shotguns in that game jeeeeeeeeeeeez,” the Danish superstar joked, piling onto the heap of criticism directed at the insanely powerful weapon type. Been playing CoD all day and all I have to say is we cant complain about weapon balancing:joyful: The shotguns in that game jeeeeeeeeeeeez hahaha — Nicolai Reedtz (@dev1ce) November 4, 2019 Even Call of Duty veterans such as Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow have called out how “ridiculous” shotguns can be due to their unjustifiable range and damage output. Infinity Ward has been quick to issues changes for controversial issues since the release of Modern Warfare. Adjusting Dead Silence just days after launch and keeping an active conversation going with the Call of Duty community to ensure that even more fixes are in the works. Here’s hoping that shotguns can be a key target in the next set of nerfs.

  • Crazy Modern Warfare glitch makes Ground War map more vibrant than ever – Dexerto

Crazy Modern Warfare glitch makes Ground War map more vibrant than ever An extraordinarily colorful bug in Modern Warfare has completely overhauled the tone of the FPS title as a Ground War map transitioned into a vibrant playground. Since the release of Infinity Ward’s latest iteration in the Call of Duty franchise on October 25, the Call of Duty community has fallen victim to a number of obscene glitches and ridiculous bugs. From melee executions being inexcusably denied to a golden camouflage issue that obscures half of the screen, there’s been no shortage of quirky discoveries in the popular FPS title. This new Ground War texture bug however, might be the most over the top bug to date. Throughout a November 26 post, Reddit user ‘Titanarmin’ showcased the comical bug that completely altered the state of the Krovnik Farmland Ground War map. Spawning in near one of the numerous barns scattered across the sprawling map, it immediately became evident that this structure was not quite like the rest. With bright shades of each primary color permeating throughout the locale, the interior of the structure became an unforgettable light show. Progressing outside, various other nearby surfaces were impacted by the hilarious visual glitch as well. Even the somber carcass of a goat wasn’t spared of the vibrancy. Implemented in the first free content drop since the launch of Modern Warfare, Krovnik Farmland marks the third Ground War map overall. While the map was tonally consistent with the rest of the multiplayer experience, a number of amusing responses had the Call of Duty community wishing that they could happen upon such a novel visual glitch themselves. “It’s like when we were kids driving around checking out all the Christmas lights,” Reddit user ‘FearcGaming’ responded to the amusing bug. While numerous comments joked that the visual bug could serve as a Christmas-themed variant of the map, there has been no official comment from Infinity Ward on the potential for a cheerful holiday event in the gritty shooter. Recently however, the first major seasonal content drop was outlined with a slew of new game modes, weapons, and maps all set to release on December 3. A new Ground War map titled ‘Port’ will also be introduced in the first season but here’s hoping the upcoming release can avoid any quizzical texture glitches like this.

  • Crazy Modern Warfare glitch is blinding players on Arklov Peak – Dexerto

Crazy Modern Warfare glitch is blinding players on Arklov Peak Infinity WardA blinding visual glitch on Arklov Peak is making Modern Warfare completely unplayable and forcing gamers to back out of certain lobbies as a result. From vibrant glitches that change the color scheme of maps, to frustrating texture issues that blind players using weapon camouflages, there’s seemingly never any shortage of bugs in Modern Warfare. The latest inexplicable problem comes from Arklov Peak, where players are having a difficult time seeing anything other than a bright blinding light. Playing through an ordinary match on the Modern Warfare map, Reddit user ‘SmartFrldge’ was caught off guard by an unbelievable visual glitch while playing through the night and into the early morning. “It’s 5 am and now I’m not sleepy anymore,” they joked while sharing a genuinely blinding bug with the Call of Duty community. Turning to the right, an absurd beacon of light started to take over their entire screen, obscuring all forms of visual intel on enemy positioning, nearby objectives, and even elements of their HUD like ammo and killstreaks. Unable to see anything whatsoever outside of the all-encompassing light, the player eventually walked closer to a building. From here they could make out a few details as they turned away and left the glitch behind them momentarily. Attempting to run through various sections of the map, the blinding brightness just wouldn’t leave them alone, constantly obscuring the screen until they were gunned down and taken out of action. Playing on PC, there’s no way of telling how the glitch happened. Perhaps a Flash Grenade detonated nearby and the effect failed to disappear, or maybe the issue stems from a specific component inside the player’s own PC. Regardless, that was their last match for the night as they hit ‘Alt+F4’ and “got to bed.” While Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the issue, there’s clearly no indicating whether a fix will be implemented anytime soon. While this glitch might burn your corneas, another recent—and terrifying—Modern Warfare bug left a character model with nothing but their floating eyes.

  • Crazy Modern Warfare bug kills players instantly by walking into a bush – Dexerto

Crazy Modern Warfare bug kills players instantly by walking into a bush A bizarre new glitch on Port of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has seen one player killed time and time again – at the hands of a bush. As with any new release, Modern Warfare has experienced its fair share of bugs and glitches. While most of these have been ironed out in the time since launch, the addition of new content is always accompanied by the risk of new bugs. Port of Verdansk is a Ground War map that was added to Modern Warfare with the inception of Season One, back on December 3. While players have enjoyed the map’s setting, one glitch has emerged that is both frustrating and strange in equal measure. Attention was drawn to the clip when one Reddit user shared their struggles on December 21, as they hoped to highlight the issue for Infinity Ward developers. The clip shows the user ‘Gotgo’ spawn into the map near to his own team’s Main HQ, on the side closest to A Flag. However, upon running into a bush in his own spawn, he is instantly killed, with the killfeed indicating he died to a headshot. It does not appear to be a one-off glitch though, as the player proceeds to run at the bush a few more times, and dies almost every time. It is not clear what is causing the player to die, but it appears Port of Verdansk has accidentally incorporated an ‘instant death spot’, something that is known to plague video games, including Fortnite. Otherss joked that the player in question was failing to ‘adapt’; a common comeback in the CoD community for when a player is struggling to get to grips with a game adjustment for a new title. Some joked that the recent nerfs to claymores mean that bushes have been given their previous abilities, while others were just frustrated at another issue with Modern Warfare. As of the publication of this article, Infinity Ward have not responded to the glitch but, given the severity of it, it is likely we will see a quick fix soon.

  • Crazy Kar98k Warzone bug makes Modern Warfare sniper completely unusable – Dexerto

Crazy Kar98k Warzone bug makes Modern Warfare sniper completely unusable ActivisionWarzone’s Kar98k, originally Modern Warfare’s most-popular marksman rifle, has become the victim of a brutal bug which prevents players from being able to aim-down-sights in any capacity. While Warzone’s biggest problem has long been the prevalence of cheaters and hackers, many would argue that those issues have been matched by the incredible number and severity of bugs that have plagued the game since the December 2021 transition to Caldera. We’ve seen the use of Buy Stations kicking players back to the lobby, console players being left unable to play the game, and even the return of the infamous (and long thought extinct) demon gun glitch. Now, though, a weapon-specific glitch is rendering the Kar98k completely unusable. The Modern Warfare sniper rifle (technically classed as a marksman rifle) has long been one of the game’s most popular weapons thanks to its quick bolt action, high damage and favorable handling. However, it has been made completely useless thanks to a bizarre bug that completely blacks out the scope players are using. Footage shared to the game’s subreddit on February 5 shows the player – mike_katz – being unable to scope in at all thanks to their Kar98k’s sniper scope being completely blacked out. The bug meant that the only viable way to use the sniper was to hip-fire which, as anyone with a few CoD matches under their belts will know, is near pointless. A number of other players replied to say that they have had similar problems with the Kar98k, but that it wasn’t clear what had caused the problems. Some players suggested that it might be a bug relating to the ‘dynamic lighting’ mechanics that Warzone uses, but these were largely educated guesses. Whatever the cause, players will want a quick fix to ensure the fan-favorite sniper rifle remains usable in Warzone.

  • Crazy Call of Duty: Warzone glitch is making the Gulag disappear – Dexerto

Crazy Call of Duty: Warzone glitch is making the Gulag disappear ActivisionA crazy glitch has been making the Gulag even harder for Call of Duty: Warzone players, with the Gulag itself completely disappearing and making it almost impossible to navigate. The Gulag can be a daunting place for players, with their battle royale lives depending on their survival in the 1v1 chamber, but this doesn’t do much to help matters. While players have called for a multitude of changes to the way the Gulag works – including changing the possible loadouts or removing certain aspects of the mini-game style matchup – not many anticipated this to be an issue. This glitch, though, is just about the last thing you want after being shipped out of the main part of the map, and is no doubt causing players to lose games on several occasions. As you can see in the clip below, something looks slightly off about the Gulag at first but, when TheWobblyGamer runs out off spawn to the centre of the map, you realize the true magnitude of how bad the glitch is. While at first the showers just looked a lot darker than usual, it quickly becomes clear that they’re actually just invisible, hidden in a pitch black setting, with the opposing player bizarrely outlined in solid gold . @ATVIAssist @ashtonisVULCAN had huge glitch in the gulag pic.twitter.com/zf76BqY53Z — The Wobbly Gamer 👀 (@TheWobblyGamer) May 22, 2020 What makes it stranger is that the actual walls and parts of the Gulag are still there, hence why the two players couldn’t simply shoot each other across the map, but you just had to use muscle memory and map knowledge to get the kill. Infinity Ward Communications Manager Ashton Williams responded to the tweet, saying that it had been sent to the right teams to take a look. Thank you! Sent over to the right teams to take a look. Appreciate the video. — Ashton Williams (@ashtonisVULCAN) May 22, 2020 It’s not yet clear exactly what is causing this to happen in the Gulag, but there will no doubt be a number of angry players whose hopes of capturing another victory in Verdansk have been scarpered by this frustrating and truly bizarre glitch. That said, since it appears the devs are now well aware of the issue, it hopefully should be fixed sooner rather than later.

  • Crazy Black Ops 4 glitch is auto-switching player’s classes in the middle of games – Dexerto

Crazy Black Ops 4 glitch is auto-switching player’s classes in the middle of games A Black Ops 4 glitch appears to be switching player’s classes in the middle of games – without the player selecting the option to do so. It seems that this bug appeared in the aftermath of some of the weapons balancing patches that Treyarch have released for the game over the past few weeks, with the glitch happening to two well known Call of Duty players on Sunday, November 25. Joseph “TurnUp2eZ” Sicre, who previously played on eUnited’s Cadets team, was the first to report the glitch on social media, uploading a video with the caption: “The game really said if I’m going up there I need an ICR, game literally switched for me.” The clip shows Sicre running up a ramp on Gridlock, when he mantled on top of a large cement block while holding a SAUG 9mm. However, once he landed on top of the platform, TurnUp2eZ was no longer holding the submachine gun, but was holding an ICR assault rifle. the game really said if im going up there i need an ICR, game literally switched for me pic.twitter.com/2WpxzDvJa2 — Turnup (@Turnup2ez) November 25, 2018 Team Kaliber streamer Xposed also found himself affected by this strange glitch. Xposed was playing Search and Destroy on Gridlock when he also chose to spawn in with a SAUG 9MM. As he ran, Xposed jumped over some rubble and ran towards the B bomb site, and somehow ended up with a Cordite instead of his SAUG. Xposed went back through his stream to find the moment when it happened, then uploaded it to Twitter to prove that he didn’t imagine selecting the SAUG, screaming: “Look at that! I told you I wasn’t tripping! Are you kidding me?” Was in a $300 Wager Match today and Dave decided to randomly switch my SAUG for a Rapid Fire Cordite. pic.twitter.com/iB1Mp8HEc3 — Xposed tK (@Xposedlive) November 24, 2018 It’s unknown if this glitch only takes place on the Gridlock map, however that’s where both of these examples have taken place. Gridlock is currently included in the CWL ruleset, meaning competitive matches are set to take place on this map, so Treyarch may be forced to remove it from competitive rotation before the first Call of Duty World League event of the season, set to take place in Las Vegas from December 7-9. Treyarch are yet to comment on the glitch, but fans of the game are hopeful that a fix will be released in a future update.

  • Crash receives secret map change in January 22 Modern Warfare update – Dexerto

Crash receives secret map change in January 22 Modern Warfare update Infinity WardA subtle map change to the Modern Warfare version of Crash has been uncovered following the January 22 patch, altering a pretty powerful head glitch that has been utilized by many players. Even though Infinity Ward launched Modern Warfare with 10 brand-new maps, the developers returned to their roots in December and released Crash with the season one update – marking the fifth time that the iconic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map has become an addition to a CoD game. However, fitting with the feel of the newer Modern Warfare, the map isn’t exactly as fans remember it from its initial 2007 version. There are now doors to be wary of instead of bursting through buildings, as well as a whole new section behind the broken blue building that gives players a new route to hit the crashed helicopter in the middle of the map. Following the January 22 update, it is that new route that has seen a slight but pretty noticeable change being made to its head glitch on the wall next to the broken blue building. The change was pointed out in a post to the Modern Warfare subreddit by user Lumenprotoplasma, showing how the wall that players have been using as cover to overlook the middle of the map has been lowered – meaning that, while it still can be used as cover, the effectiveness of the head glitch has been reduced. With the change, more of the player’s body will now be on show for enemy players, meaning that it’s now a pretty fair fight if someone else hops up on the garbage container that sits behind the wall opposite. Why the tweak wasn’t noted in the January 22 patch notes, however, is unknown and there could very well be more sneaky map changes that have been made by Infinity Ward. We’ll just have to wait and see if anything else is uncovered by sleuthing players.

  • CouRage’s girlfriend trolls him with terrible Warzone loadout – Dexerto

CouRage’s girlfriend trolls him with terrible Warzone loadout YT: CouRageCouRage’s girlfriend hilariously trolled the ex-CoD caster with an absolutely terrible Warzone loadout, but the YouTube streamer actually performed far better than expected. In terms of Warzone content creation, there are few names as big as Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop. The ex-Call of Duty caster turned his attention to full time content creation back in 2018, and the results have been wildly successful. He now has over 2.5 million subscribers on the platform, regularly entertaining his followers with his gaming videos. August 2, was no different, as he allowed his girlfriend, Maddie, to choose his Warzone loadout. The results, as you can imagine, were less than ideal for CouRage. His mischievous chat were falsely advising Maddie to pick the worst weapons and perks possible, seeing the streamer end up with a sniper and Riot Shield combination. Fortunately for CouRage, despite the best efforts of his YouTube chat, the sniper he wound up with was the HDR, rather than the Dragunov or something completely unusable. Unfortunately for CouRage, Maddie picked the Riot Shield as his secondary, leaving CouRage raging in the background. Timestamp: 4:25 “Oh my god! I’m f**king sick of you guys chat!” CouRage screams as Maddie is encouraged to pick the Riot Shield. He described the final loadout as “about as bad as it could have been.” The final loadout was a HDR sniper rifle, Riot Shield secondary, Molotov Cocktail and Gas Grenade. Despite CouRage being in the unique position of his loadout getting worse upon calling in a Loadout Drop, he actually performed surprisingly well with Maddie’s class. A host of enemies were taken down by his HDR flick, while the Riot Shield provided some cover when he found himself in an enemy line of fire. He even teased doing a whole squad of loadouts created by girlfriends, where he would be playing with Symfuhny and Nadeshot. If this video is anything to go by, it could make for some seriously entertaining viewing.

  • CouRage wrecks Warzone 2 enemies with hilarious proximity chat trick – Dexerto

CouRage wrecks Warzone 2 enemies with hilarious proximity chat trick YouTube: CouRageCouRage is already having fun on day one of Warzone 2, showing some unwitting enemies why proximity chat can be deadly. Warzone 2 is finally here, letting players of all skill levels finally explore Al Mazrah and all the new features that were added. One such new feature is proximity chat, which allows players to pick up the comms of nearby enemies and even interact. While the purpose of this feature is to make the Warzone experience more immersive, and make squads a bit more careful with their words, it can also be dangerous to unsuspecting players, as CouRageJD and TimTheTatman revealed. CouRage uses Warzone 2 proximity chat to trick enemies In a Warzone 2 game, users were able to catch a hilarious interaction between CouRageJD, his teammate TimtheTatman, and an unwitting enemy. Shared by CharlieIntel on Twitter, the clip shows the duo in an intense firefight with one enemy. But once they recognized Tim’s voice, the tenor of the fight changed. “Yo, I promise I’m not coming in there, let’s be friends,” the Warzone player said to the streamers, trying to form some sort of peaceful agreement between the two. But CouRage giggled as he forms an idea. “Actually guys, we want to test a new thing. You can join each other’s squads. You guys want to join our squad?” The enemies, clearly thrilled with the idea of playing alongside Tim and CouRage, agreed and CouRage tells them about this new feature they want to test. “Open your ping wheel… you’ll see that you can request to join someone’s squad. We won’t kill you, come to our building.” Now this feature, known as Assimilation, is a legitimate option for Warzone players who have lost their teammates, so it wasn’t ridiculous for these enemies to believe CouRage. Unfortunately, just because they can join an enemy squad doesn’t mean the enemy will let them. Sure enough, when the enemy walked up to CouRage and opened their ping wheel to request to join, CouRage took the opportunity to secure a point-blank headshot. “Welcome to Warzone 2 b***ch,” he cackled, even as Tim noted how mean CouRage was to trick those unsuspecting foes.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 season continued with the launch of the CWL Pro League on February 4 where OpTic Gaming faced off against the dark horse powerhouse Midnight Esports. Playing with Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto in place of Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell due to travel issues, OpTic Gaming were dominated in a lopsided 3-0 sweep. One bad game does not define the start to that season.” “You are Scumpy, dude!” CouRage says before hitting the popular ‘whip’ dance move. “Get out there, get at ‘em and win.” Scump seemed to appreciate the vote of confidence, responding to CouRage soon after saying, “Lol bro I love you” and even complimenting his dance moves. Fans of OpTic are no doubt anxiously awaiting to see whether CouRage’s message was enough to help the team get back on track. • CouRage says pay-to-win Roze skin is ruining Warzone and wants it removed – Dexerto

CouRage says pay-to-win Roze skin is ruining Warzone and wants it removed Activision / 100 ThievesYouTube streamer and 100 Thieves content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has joined growing calls for developers Raven to remove the Roze skin from Warzone. As far as skins go in Warzone, they’re not as sought after as in some other titles, like Epic Games’ Fortnite. The first-person nature of Call of Duty means that enemy skins are seen far more regularly than your own. However, that’s exactly the issue with the Roze skin. Many players have criticized the outfit as being too dark and subsequently invisible when playing in shadows. While skins in Warzone are completely cosmetic – meaning they don’t have any impact on gameplay – the difficulty players have identifying Roze skins means that users are at an inherent advantage. There have been increasing calls from the community for changes to be made to the skin because of the advantage given to players using it. Warzone fans have even been sharing tips and tricks to counter Roze players, as the community unites around the issue. Read More: When is the Nuke event in Warzone? – On March 6, 100 Thieves streamer CouRage added his name to the list of people calling on Raven to make changes to the skin. “The Roze skin is ruining Warzone,” he tweeted. “It should 100% be removed from the game. It’s impossible to see players in shadows.” The Roze skin is ruining Warzone… It should 100% be removed from the game. It’s impossible to see players in shadows. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) March 6, 2021 Responses to the tweet were varied, with some players suggesting that the Roze is not as difficult to see as CouRage made out. However, others praised the 100T content creator for using his influence to call on Raven to adjust something the community has been frustrated by since Season 5 of Modern Warfare (when the Roze skin originally dropped as the Tier 100 battle pass reward). Because it featured as a battle pass reward, many pointed out that it would probably be easier for Raven to simply make some aesthetic adjustments to make it more visible, rather than to completely remove it from the game and result in millions of players being owed a refund of some sort. Whether CouRage’s voice can be the catalyst for some change remains to be seen, but we’ll be sure to update you if any changes to Roze are made.

  • CouRage says Modern Warfare & Warzone is ‘worst CoD ever’ for ranking up – Dexerto

CouRage says Modern Warfare & Warzone is ‘worst CoD ever’ for ranking up Activision / Instagram: couragejdFormer Call of Duty caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has slammed Modern Warfare and Warzone’s progression system as Call of Duty’s “worst ever.” CouRage led the commentary line during the Black Ops 3 season right up until he left to pursue full-time streaming in March, 2018, where he became one of Twitch and Fortnite’s biggest stars. With the recent release of Call of Duty’s battle royale title Warzone, CouRage has returned to his roots and started streaming the game a lot – but has some strong opinions on certain features of the game, especially the leveling system. Modern Warfare’s ranking system is a big change from previous iterations in the CoD franchise, dropping the prestige system and instead allowing players to level up to 155 – and dropping back to 55 each season. CouRage clearly isn’t a fan, though, as revealed in an April 27 tweet, describing the level system as “the worst in any Call of Duty game EVER.” He goes on to question developer Infinity Ward’s decision to remove prestiges, limit levels at 155 and reset to 55 at the start of every season, clearly exasperated at the system in its entirety. The level system in Modern Warfare is the worst in any Call of Duty game EVER Why take away prestiges? Why not let me go higher than 155? Why reset me to 55 at the start of every season?Everyone is loving this game/Warzone. Let us have something to show for it. @timthetatman — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) April 27, 2020 It wasn’t all negative, though, as he adds that “everyone is loving this game/Warzone,” suggesting that what he believes to be the worst ever progression system isn’t a deal-breaker for players. Watch: The Secrets of Courage and Nadeshot’s Success It wasn’t long before CouRage found something else that irritated him about the game, though, as barely 10 minutes later he referred to anyone who uses akimbo Snakeshot pistols as a “baby back b**ch that won’t ever find love.” If you use akimbo Snakeshot pistols in Call of Duty Warzone, then you’re literally a baby back bitch that won’t ever find love in life. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) April 27, 2020 The progression system has been under fire from players in the past, but most have come to terms with it now, though a fresh batch of players on Warzone might be the critical eye that pushes Infinity Ward to make a change – only time will tell.

Maybe they just got not broken boxes, get lucky, and always have things go their way. Don’t be mad at me because you can’t beat teams who place top 64 at Open events — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) July 26, 2018 The comment caused other CoD pros to jump in to the conversation. First it was Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall, who always seems to be on hand with a response whenever a Twitter fight happens in the CoD community. Arcitys also got in on the fun, throwing a light insult over to Mochila. There was one player who agreed with Mochila, though it may have been jokingly. Cody ‘Excite’ Rugolo, of the Taboo roster that also failed to qualify, recognized that station.

  • CouRage pleads with Warzone devs to make major changes in Season 3 – Dexerto

CouRage pleads with Warzone devs to make major changes in Season 3 Activision/YouTube: 100 ThievesPopular YouTube streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has called for the Warzone devs to talk with him, providing a huge list of changes he wants to see ahead of the Season 3 launch and rumored new map. CouRage was once one of the faces of Call of Duty esports, calling all the action from the commentary table, but in recent years he’s taken a step back from the franchise. Now, after a year-long love/hate relationship with popular CoD battle royale Warzone, he seems back on the wheel. On April 15, just days before the launch of the next season of Warzone, CouRage targeted developers Raven Software with a huge list of changes that need to be made. Saying that he is “more than happy to hop on a call with developers and provide clips to help improve the game,” Dunlop pinpointed several key issues, including things players have wanted changed for months. These include the annoying Roze skin, addressing audio issues with footsteps, better weapon balancing, as well as a few quality of life of issues to make things run smoother. Here is everything CouRage listed for the devs to address that he thinks would add “a better quality of life to the game”: Functioning streamer mode – Removal/refund of the Roze skin – Less Dead Silence and Stopping Power – Make Bounties drop consolation loot when unavailable – Fix cash/armor plate bug when you can’t drop it from your inventory – Tune footstep audio to better match Call of Duty multiplayer (currently, not similar at all) – No more fists Gulag ever again (current Gulag is best) – Fix no sniper glint bug – Increase block list over 200 players (Currently, can’t block anymore cheaters) – Tweak FFAR to bring it in line with other weapons close range – Fix bug that makes you spawn at Plunder height on buy back in actual Warzone (started happening today) – Adjust rocks on the map to be more easy to traverse – Make it easier/auto pickup Armor Satchels in a stack of loot – If you direct impact stick someone with a grenade, then make them be downed with full plates – Add FOV slider for console players – Swap RC Car to the top of the buy menu so Loadout is at the bottom – Fix Loadout bug that stops you from hitting it multiple times if your teammate hasn’t grabbed it yet – Make it easier to distinguish if enemy footsteps are above or below you – Really love Warzone! As someone who plays the game almost daily, I just want to see it thrive and be as successful as possible! More than happy to hop on a call with developers and provide clips to help improve the game! Really looking forward to more map/meta changes! — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) April 16, 2021 These fixes range from small to very important, with things players have wanted for some time. FFAR nerfs, looting troubles and footstep audio have all been points of concern for a while, and it’ll be interesting to see if any of them actually happen. With CouRage’s strong links to the Call of Duty community, it’s very possible we see them take notice and chat with him – but we’ll have to wait for official patch notes before getting excited.

  • CouRage, JKap & Hastr0 feud as Empire’s 3-0 CDL weekend gets personal – Dexerto

CouRage, JKap & Hastr0 feud as Empire’s 3-0 CDL weekend gets personal Team Envy/100 Thieves YouTubeThings seemed to get personal after Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail took to Twitter to boast after the Dallas Empire went 3-0 during CDL’s Super Week and swept the Los Angeles Thieves. The Empire went undefeated during Super Week to win their group, and earn a first-round bye in the upcoming Stage 1 Major’s Winners Bracket. They capped it all off with a 3-0 against 100 Thieves’ Los Angeles squad. Hastr0, the head of Dallas Empire’s parent org Team Envy, started the Monday after the group stage off by firing a few tweets that eventually led to a colorful exchange with 100T’s Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, Thieves coach Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan, and others right on the timeline. After noting how quiet the usually talkative Thieves seemed to be after Dallas secured the 3-0, JKap replied, asking “Don’t you ever get tired of this s*** man?” to which Hastr0 responded “You know me pretty well, Kap. Why do you even need to ask that question?” “Figured at some point you’d get tired of begging for attention, but guess not,” JKap shot back, which is where CouRage came into the picture with a shot out of nowhere. “Kap…cmon bro. Hastro has to be the one to tweet when Envy wins a match because there are no Envy fans to do it for him,” Dunlop wrote. “Just take a look they’ve averaged a combined -4,000 subscribers across their 3 YouTube channels this year. I’d rather run a successful well-rounded business.” From there, CouRage and the Envy owner got into their own back-and-forth, with Hastr0 accusing the streamer of caring “so much about the money and the views.” “Cmon Mike, you were a below average call of duty professional, became a below average call of duty commentator, and are now hemorrhaging money as a team owner,” the 100T content creator fired back. “I’d keep replying but this is the most interaction you’ve gotten since you snaked Clayster.” CouRage wasn’t done yet though, and after Rufail assured him Envy was “extremely healthy as a business” the former CoD commentator got one last blast in. “You legit can’t take our name out of your mouth because you ‘envy’ what we have,” he said. “Our intern’s show gets more views per video then your entire 3 channels in 1 month. One apparel drops earns more than your entire business in 10 years of merch.” If you thought that was it, think again, as CouRage also compared his and Hastr0’s respective esports winnings along with the simple caption “Dogwater.” Plenty of other people, orgs, and accounts commented on the beef as well, but according to CouRage no one was upset, and it was just some good old Modern Warfare lobby-style banter, “I didn’t get upset. I just trashtalked back. Some good old MW2 lobby vibe type of stuff. Nobody is upset here.” As proof of just how deep this trash talk goes, one needs only to take a look at JKap’s Twitlonger shots at Hastr0 from…2014. The drama didn’t slow down as the day went on. Plenty of others chimed in while JKap and Hastr0 continued to air out their beef for the world to see. What came next was another lengthy post from JKap recounting his years at Envy. Throughout this championship-winning run, he claimed Envy never sent contracts to the team. “We were never under contract during the 2017 season,” he explained. “None of us.” However, three days following Champs that year and Envy suddenly reached out with a “contract offer,” according to JKap. The reason behind this perplexing move was “because [Hastr0] wanted to sell [them] for a buyout.” Despite arguments that JKap’s 2016 contract auto-renewed due to a first right of refusal clause, Hastr0 was eventually forced to leave the players alone. Though not before asking for $1,300 in payments from the players due to missing stream hours. “When I was too smart to fall for that absolute horsesh**, out of pure pettiness, he retroactively fined me $1300 for not streaming leading up to the biggest CoD tournament of all-time at that point in time…. A tournament I ended up winning under his org.” Hastr0 continued to deny such claims in response to the new thread. “I treated you well and you know that,” he said. I even treated you unbelievably fair prior and gave you a job on our team when there were better opportunities.” It’s clear there’s plenty of tension between everyone involved and Call of Duty drama hasn’t been quite this hot in a while. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as the drama continues to unfold in full view of the community.

  • CouRage explains why he hates Warzone and the big changes it needs – Dexerto

CouRage explains why he hates Warzone and the big changes it needs Activision/Instagram: couragejdYouTube star Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has explained why he hates Call of Duty battle royale hit Warzone — and given his opinion on some of the changes needed to make the game better. [jwplayer UpakiURx] Warzone has become a massive title among streamers and casual players, with many of the top content creators focusing solely on Call of Duty’s free-to-play game. Top creators such as NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman, and Cloakzy are among some of the most popular on Twitch, and once upon a time, CouRage would’ve been their first port of call when searching for a fourth in Verdansk. That said, the former Call of Duty caster didn’t last long playing Warzone before switching to other titles, such as Valorant or Among Us — and now he’s explained why he can’t just bring himself to play it. In his February 15 YouTube upload to his second channel, CouRage responded to comments suggesting that he no longer gets on with the aforementioned Nick, Tim and Cloak, since they don’t play Warzone together. The real reason, Dunlop explains, is that his “attention span for Warzone and ability to play it is at an all time low.” “The reason why I stopped playing with Nick, Tim and Cloak is because I’m sick of that game,” he continued. “I love Warzone, but I also hate it. We either get cheated against, then we have stream snipers coming after us. There’s the stim glitch for the seventh time.” Topic starts at 10:30 It’s fair to say that these complaints are always common in Warzone. The stim glitch has been persistent and there doesn’t seem to be any certain fix. The cheating issue is a monumental one that the devs aren’t quite able to get a full grip on. CouRage also roasts the use of trains in Verdansk, questioning his viewers on whether they’ve ever actually used the subways dotted around the map. Saying that there’s “not been enough changes,” the streamer also requests Activision to “put me in charge of it,” evidently full of ideas on ways to improve the BR experience. There are rumors of a new map coming to Warzone, and with it, we might see some monumental changes to the game. What actually ends up happening, though, remains to be seen.

  • CouRage explains why he had to uninstall Warzone for his “mental health” – Dexerto

CouRage explains why he had to uninstall Warzone for his “mental health” Activision/YouTube: CouRageJD100 Thieves co-owner and top YouTube streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has explained why he has uninstalled Warzone after the Pacific update, saying it’s affected his mental health and made him dread going live since Caldera dropped. The Warzone Pacific update, which saw Call of Duty Vanguard fully integrated with the battle royale hit, has definitely split opinions of its player base. While a new map was highly anticipated, it launched with a number of bugs and changes that have caused division among players, such as the alterations made to Loadout Drops. Now, barely a week after Caldera first dropped, CouRage has already uninstalled the game and promised to move on to playing and streaming other titles instead. In the video he posted explaining his decision, CouRage talked through the major issues he has with Warzone right now, discussing how they’re affecting his overall enjoyment of the game. While he explains that the Loadout Drop changes, terrain, the delay of anti-cheat, and a number of other issues have impacted his enjoyment of the game, it all added up to a strain on his mental when trying to stream. “I’m done centering my content around Warzone,” CouRage said. “I’ve more than come to terms with the fact that means making less money or potentially lose a sponsor or two. But I can’t do it for my mental health. It’s making me dread going live and I’ve now come to realize that Caldera ain’t it for me.” CouRage has long had a love/hate relationship with Warzone. Having played and worked in Call of Duty extensively in past years, he spoke out about the main issues with the BR title in February 2021, almost a year after it launched. He had stopped playing for some time and didn’t revisit it for a couple of months after, either, though he did start playing it once again in the final few months of Verdansk. CouRage might not be the first streamer to leave Warzone for now, either, based on how some players are finding Caldera so far. They and their fans will be hoping for major changes down the line, just like CouRage.

  • CouRage explains why Black Ops III was “the best CoD ever” – Dexerto

CouRage explains why Black Ops III was “the best CoD ever” 100 Thieves/TreyarchAs the anticipation for next year’s Treyarch Call of Duty title grows, YouTube streamer and ex-Call of Duty caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has listed everything that made Black Ops III the “best CoD game ever”. The ‘jet-pack’ phase of Call of Duty is generally looked back on negatively by the game’s community. Advanced Warfare was considered too frenetic, while Infinite Warfare’s space setting was too futuristic for many players. One game, however, stands out – Black Ops III. Treyarch’s 2015 title was praised for its fast pace and refinement of the advanced movement system from Advanced Warfare. Furthermore, its multiplayer was pretty enjoyable, and zombies brought plenty of different content for players to delve into. On June 14, as part of a discussion with OpTic Gaming LA pro Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell, CouRage explained every reason for Black Ops III being his favorite CoD game ever. “Black Ops 3 was the best CoD game ever,” he said. “Incredible to watch, fun/flashy plays, so many new talented players began to rise up, had fantastic Zombies, super fun multiplayer/pub lobbies, cool weapon camos/skins, theater mode, uplink, SnD was so fun.” Black Ops 3 was the best CoD game ever. Incredible to watch, fun/flashy plays, so many new talented players began to rise up, had fantastic Zombies, super fun multiplayer/pub lobbies, cool weapon camos/skins, theater mode, uplink, SnD was so fun. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) June 14, 2020 Despite transcending the series and becoming known for other games, like Fortnite, the ex-caster’s YouTube and Twitch following grew massively on Black Ops III. His stream highlights and Bot World League series, among others, were wildly popular. A lot of players found it hard to disagree with CouRage’s points. While some argued they made the game unbalanced, many found specialists to be an extra layer of fun, allowing for some seriously awesome plays. Furthermore, the game was the first CoD to introduce an ‘ultimate’ skin, in the form of the Dark Matter Camo. Unique skins for each CWL team were also added late into the game’s life cycle. While many details remain up in the air about Call of Duty 2020, David Vonderhaar has already confirmed there will be no advanced movement in the game, believed to be set in the Cold War era. Regardless, it’s clear that CouRage is hoping to see many of Black Ops III’s most popular features replicated in CoD 2020. Only time will tell.

  • CouRage explains why Black Ops 3 is the “best” CoD game of all time – Dexerto

CouRage explains why Black Ops 3 is the “best” CoD game of all time Twitter: @CouRageJD / Activision100 Thieves co-owner and influencer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop explained the multiple reasons why he believes Black Ops 3 is the “best” Call of Duty game “of all time.” CouRage is no stranger to sharing his gaming hot takes to his large follower base, like when he shared his reason for preferring the Apex Legends grind over Warzone back in 2021. Though CouRage has been out of the Call of Duty casting scene—where he amassed much of his online following—for some time, he is still an influential member of the game’s community. Now, CouRage has shared another hot take about why he thinks Black Ops 3 is the “best” Call of Duty game “of all time” and the reactions are certainly split. CouRage calls Black Ops 3 the “best” CoD game The streamer and business owner shared this take on Twitter, tweeting “Reminder, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the best Call of Duty of all time.” CouRage then listed six reasons why he believes this is the case, mentioning the game’s “awesome prestige system” and the robust version of the Zombies game mode present in Black Ops 3. CouRage also mentioned the game’s “Flashy abilities that lead to crazy moments, fantastic weapon camos, theater mode, [and] solid campaign.” Interestingly, CouRage didn’t mention Black Ops 3’s overhaul to the Call of Duty movement system, which added jet thrusters, wall running, and sliding. This could be due to members of the fan base being split on the game’s movement system. Pro players like OpTic ZLaner thought it raised the game’s skill ceiling and would like to see it return in future installments. Still, other fans like user ‘GrassPark_‘ on Twitter claimed the movement system was just a ‘sh*ter version of Titanfall,’ which was released a full year earlier than Black Ops 3. Other fans simply voiced their own favorites in the replies, like user ‘AaronSlein‘ who responded with “This game revolutionized modern FPS multiplayer shooters. MW2 is the goat of CoD.” While the Call of Duty community may be split on which game is the best in the series, fans know exactly where CouRage stands on the matter.

  • CouRage explains “horrible” problem hurting the CDL’s viewership – Dexerto

CouRage explains “horrible” problem hurting the CDL’s viewership IG: CouRage / CDLJack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has pinpointed Call of Duty’s “horrible” ranked modes as a potential reasons for the CDL’s lacklustre viewership, suggesting a better in-game system would push players towards watching streams. The Call of Duty League’s second season has finally made its return to LAN events with the Stage IV Major taking place in Arlington, Texas. Despite the excitement, storylines and top-tier CoD, the CDL’s viewership has left a lot to be desired. During Friday night’s matches it was hovering somewhere between 15,000 and 30,000 viewers. While still significant numbers, with the amount of money invested in CoD esports, the amount of followers big players have and the potential of esports to pull in millions of viewers, the numbers will surely be disappointing senior figures at Activision. Naturally, discussion turned to the reasons for this lacklustre viewership, and what could be done to change it. CouRage, content creator and full-time YouTube streamer, pinpointed the lack of consistency with a Ranked mode in CoD titles. Black Ops Cold War does have League Play, but it was added months after the game’s release and, some argue, falls short of the lofty standards set by Black Ops II’s League Play way back in 2012. “I’m seeing a lot of talk around Call of Duty viewership,” he tweeted. “People fighting about Twitch vs YouTube, GAs vs no GAs, and time between matches. For me, the biggest thing is that every other top esport has a competitive and exciting ranked system. CoD ranked has always been horrible.” I’m seeing a lot of talk around Call of Duty viewership. People fighting about Twitch vs YouTube, GAs vs no GAs, and time between matches. For me, the biggest thing is that every other top esport has a competitive and exciting ranked system. CoD ranked has always been horrible. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) June 19, 2021 While most CoDs do eventually get Ranked modes, they differ considerably between Call of Duty titles, and some never get more than a CDL ruleset playlist. CouRage, as an ex-CWL (the precursor to the CDL) caster, has long called for consistency in CoD’s ranked modes. He elaborated: “It has so much potential. I want CDL to be successful so damn bad. I’d just love to speak with executives just once to have them hear my peace. I think it would be wildly productive.” Yup. It’s a shame. It has so much potential. I want CDL to be successful so damn bad. I could talk for hours about this on a podcast. I’d just love to speak with executives just once to have them hear my peace. I think it would be wildly productive. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) June 19, 2021 CouRage even promised an “intense SnD” series with NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman and Cloakzy if CoD ever gets the ranked mode he feels it deserves. Other reasons have also been highlighted for the CDL’s struggle to amass large audiences – advert heavy broadcasts and time between matches have been criticized, or the popularity of Warzone potentially detracting from Cold War’s player-base. Whatever the reasons, a strong in-game Ranked mode seems like a great place to start.

  • CouRage explains “biggest issue” with Modern Warfare 2’s SBMM as fan debate continues – Dexerto

CouRage explains “biggest issue” with Modern Warfare 2’s SBMM as fan debate continues Twitter: CouRageJD / ActivisionYouTube streamer and former Call of Duty World League caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has explained his biggest issue with Modern Warfare 2’s skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) as fan debate over the mechanic continues. Modern Warfare 2’s full launch on October 28 has given way to a number of issues with Infinity Ward’s latest installment in the CoD franchise. Among the most serious is the game’s tendency to crash completely when players are partied up, but one design choice that has come in for criticism is the inclusion of SBMM in public matches. Among the mechanic’s most outspoken critics, at least in the CoD community, is former CWL caster CouRage. He described SBMM as “horrible” in the Beta and has carried over his complaints into the full game. CouRage explains “biggest issue” with MW2 SBMM In an October 28 tweet, he pinpointed one particular problem with SBMM that he believes ruins the typical multiplayer match. “I have no want or need to face players with below a 0.7 K/D that I can just fry,” he said. “That is not my issue at all. My issue is that SBMM’s goal is to put everyone between a 0.8 to a 1.2 K/D… You’ll see very few high tier streaks and overall players who stand out from that.” SBMM refers to the game’s matchmaking algorithm taking into account players’ skill level and trying to match them up with opponents of a similar level. He continued: “What that does is create a lot of frustration as a player. You never have an opportunity to pop off, every single game feels like you’re playing for a million dollars. And honestly it gets really exhausting because there’s never any variance.” Describing it as a “silent MMR” (matchmaking rank), he explained that players who improve are simply moved up to a new level of “sweat lobbies” and are not rewarded at all for actually improving at the game. Contrasting it to Apex Legends or Valorant, he said that the major difference is clarity over a rank and rewards for actually improving. The tweet garnered plenty of support, with one particular endorsement coming from esports pioneer H3CZ. Regardless of player complaints, more and more games are using SBMM. It’s a debate that is certain to continue.

  • CouRage & CDL pros slam Cold War League Play as missed opportunity – Dexerto

CouRage & CDL pros slam Cold War League Play as missed opportunity CouRage / ActivisionBlack Ops Cold War’s League Play has not lived up to fans’ high expectations, and the professional community is lamenting the missed opportunities that a robust ranked playlist would bring to Call of Duty and the CDL. Many CoD fans point to Black Ops II’s League Play as the shining example of what a ranked Call of Duty playlist should look like. However, the game’s system was far from perfect, and the franchise has struggled to implement ranked playlists in modern titles — if ranked play is included at all. With Treyarch’s return to the franchise’s driver seat in 2020, fans had high expectations for a robust, enjoyable League Play system, but have been largely disappointed since the mode was introduced. League Play quickly sputtered out and has been largely forgotten by the community. After almost half a year with Cold War’s League Play system, the professional community — pros, casters, and fans — are all pointing to the playlist as yet another missed opportunity to use ranked play as a force to grow competitive Call of Duty. On June 5, Raymond ‘Rambo’ Lussier — former CoD pro and current coach of the CDL’s Dallas Empire — took to Twitter and shared his qualms about the implementation of League Play in Black Ops Cold War, calling it “extremely disappointing.” In addition to pointing out flaws with League Play by itself, he also noted that those flaws make it harder for casuals to become interested in the CDL: “how the hell are people supposed to get into it if the entry level competitive side of the game isn’t appealing?” There’s no debate that the competitive side of the game is a small part of the cod ecosystem given how big the casual base is… but how the hell are people supposed to want to get into it if the entry level competitive side of the game (league play) isn’t appealing to any1?? — Surge Rambo Ray (@ramboray) June 5, 2021 Rambo’s tweets quickly took off as other pros and casters chimed in with their own criticisms. 100 Thieves’ Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop — one of the franchise’s most recognizable and influential casting personalities — voiced his own disappointment with the lack of support for League Play. “It is genuinely astonishing that there isn’t a small dedicated team that just moves from developer to developer during the CoD release cycle that just ensures a robust and exciting ranked experience to help promote the CDL,” he replied. It is genuinely astonishing that there isn’t a small dedicated team that just moves from developer to developer during the CoD release cycle that just ensures a robust and exciting ranked experience to help promote the CDL. 16 years of Call of Duty and its always sucked. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) June 5, 2021 While Treyarch typically includes a ranked playlist in their titles, the system often changes from one game to the next — which are released three years apart due to the triple-studio development cycle maintained across all CoD developers. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games will sometimes include a ranked playlist in their titles, and other times will not. The system implemented by Sledgehammer in Call of Duty: World War 2 was largely praised by the community, but there’s no telling if it will make a return in next year’s installment. Joe ‘MerK’ DeLuca, another massive casting personality in professional CoD, pointed out that Activision could lean on its subsidiary, Blizzard Entertainment, for inspiration and advice when it comes to formulating ranked systems for Call of Duty titles. I was just hoping they could use a blizzard built out system and bring it in. I’ll take sc2s, Overwatch, hearthstone, just give me one. So much room to make content for pros and creators, I NEED IT — MerK (@JoeDeLuca) June 5, 2021 “I was hoping [Activision] could use a Blizzard system and bring it in [to Call of Duty]. I’ll take [a system like] StarCraft 2, Overwatch, Hearthstone, just give me one. So much room to make content for pros and creators,” he confirmed in response to Dunlop’s tweet. While this is far from the first time the professional Call of Duty community has criticized Cold War’s League Play, the frustration from the large Call of Duty community is clear. It remains to be seen what Activision and their studios might do to improve ranked play in future titles, but with so many prominent members of the pro community up in arms about the state of ranked play, it will likely put the issue firmly in the publisher’s sights heading into the launch of next year’s Call of Duty title.

  • CouRage blasts “horrible” Modern Warfare II Beta as SBMM complaints explode – Dexerto

CouRage blasts “horrible” Modern Warfare II Beta as SBMM complaints explode YT: CouRage / Infinity WardYouTube streamer and former CoD esports caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has blasted the Modern Warfare 2 Beta as “horrible” for its insistence on skill-based matchmaking (SBMM), as complaints over the system inundate developers Infinity Ward. The Modern Warfare 2 Beta has given players of all platforms their first hands-on experience with Infinity Ward’s 2022 title. It will be live until Monday 26 September, giving the developers just over a month to implement feedback from players. Currently, the feedback has centered on minimaps, footstep audio, and, predictably, skill-based matchmaking. SBMM is a controversial mechanic, designed to put players into lobbies with opponents of a similar skill level. Some argue it allows closer matches but others claim it punishes good players and disproportionately protects lower-skilled ones. CouRage slams “horrible” SBMM ruining Modern Warfare 2 Beta Joining the likes of Dr Disrespect in criticizing the system, CouRage claimed it forces all players to play the same way in order to try and benefit from marginal gains against players of similar standard. “It truly is a shame that I can’t use ANYTHING but the most meta class setup or else I’ll go triple negative in these extreme SBMM lobbies in MWII,” he tweeted. “Inflatable Decoy over Dead Silence for fun? No. Throwing Knives over Semtexs? No. Mess around with a weird class? No. Horrible.” In a second tweet on the Beta, the former Call of Duty World League caster said that nearly every stream of MW2 he has seen has players floating around a 1.0 K/D and suggested that SBMM should only be in ranked modes. It’s a fairly common opinion, with many arguing public matches – as the Beta offers – should be casual and Ranked games should place players with opponents around their skill level. He said: “Nearly every stream I’ve tuned into for the MW2 Beta is entire lobbies with a 0.9-1.1 K/D and everyone being frustrated at how sweaty their games are due to SBMM. Also, nearly everyone I’ve watched said they wouldn’t mind it if they had a rank associated with it (Valorant/Apex).” It remains to be seen how Infinity Ward implements the negative feedback over SBMM, but there have long been suggestions that it is implemented by Activision rather than the devs themselves.

  • CouRage and Lando Norris create world’s worst Warzone loadouts – Dexerto

CouRage and Lando Norris create world’s worst Warzone loadouts Twitter: CouRageJD / Instagram: landonorris[jwplayer gd7BhumN]McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris returned to Verdansk after three back-to-back races — and joined up with YouTube streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop to try out the worst possible Warzone loadouts. While most content creators look for the most overpowered weapons that can change the meta, such as NICKMERCS’ M13 or Vikkstar’s Bruen MK9, this duo, alongside Marcel ‘BasicallyIDoWrk’ Cunningham and NoahJ456, obviously had something else on their minds. They took to Verdansk looking to prove a point by arming themselves with the world’s worst Warzone loadouts, and it made for some interesting viewing. CouRage opted for what he believed was the worst-in-class assault rifle, the AK47, due to its insane recoil, and decided to make the recoil even worse. Pair that with a VLK Rogue shotgun Blueprint with minimal range and you’ve got a match made in hell. Lando initially didn’t even know the names of what he was using, which really speaks for itself, but he did know that he had the Origin 12 Shotgun and a revolver, effectively making him useless at almost all ranges. The issue with each of their respective weapons became abundantly clear almost immediately, as Jack tested out his AK’s recoil and was visibly shocked at how much it jumped, spending the rest of the video treating it more like a Dragunov than an AR. Meanwhile, teammates NoahJ and Marcel had their own issues to deal with. Marcel was using the Code Breaker FR5.56 Blueprint with a smokescreen underbarrel, while Noah opted to exclusively use weapons that don’t shoot bullets; a crossbow and “a shotgun that shoots fire” — and it didn’t make for easy plays in Verdansk. Timestamp 0:57 It took a few games, and it wasn’t pretty, but the squad did finally manage to get a win, albeit without the high number of kills they would usually expect. Noah managed to nab himself 12, but CouRage, Marcel and Lando got 4, 4 and3 respectively: not quite something to write home about. It goes without saying that these guys won’t be opting to utilize these Warzone loadouts in real games, and as they’re playing, you can definitely see why. Whether they’re the worst possible Warzone loadouts isn’t clear, but nobody else is going to be rushing to use these classes any time soon.

  • Courage was “dreading” streaming Warzone before making major Apex Legends switch – Dexerto

Courage was “dreading” streaming Warzone before making major Apex Legends switch Activision / YouTube: CourageJDJack ‘CouRageJD’ Dunlop admitted he “dreaded” streaming Call of Duty: Warzone before switching to Apex Legends, which Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm agreed with, claiming it was “pretty depressing.” Some of the top Warzone streamers, including Courage, Dr Disrespect, NICKMERCS, TimTheTatman, and more, shocked the world when they decided to ditch the game and switch over to its biggest competitor, Apex Legends. But while they all had their own reasons for making that decision, Courage told Dr Disrespect his passion for the game dwindled so much; it got to the point where he “dreaded” streaming it. And The Doc was in the same boat, too. “I wish I could just play this game all day,” he said. “It’s pretty incredible what it feels like to be a streamer when you’re like excited to stream because man, when I was on Warzone, I was dreading hitting the Go Live button.” “I was talking to my therapist about it! I’m pretty sure I was having an existential crisis. You’re just looking at that OBS timer [thinking you’ve ] been live for eight hours, but it just says one hour and thirty-seven minutes. My heart would just sink.” Dr Disrespect agreed, which is no surprise given how often he’s criticized and uninstalled the game. He claimed streaming it got “pretty depressing” for a while. So, to escape the woe, he started playing the most golf he’d ever played in his life. Interestingly though, the reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard caught their eye, and it might be enough to bring them back. Courage said the new map and anti-cheat has got him “f**king amped.” So, once that launches in November, he might be back. However, he wants the game to have “more consistent updates” moving forward.

  • Could the Call of Duty: Blackout beta be returning? [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Could the Call of Duty: Blackout beta be returning? [UPDATED] Update: Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that the Blackout beta will not be returning anytime before Black Ops 4’s launch on October 12. Rumors are circulating that the massively popular Call of Duty: Blackout beta could be making a return on Thursday, September 20, based on hints given by some popular streamers. The Blackout beta was live between September 10 and September 17, and gave players a chance to get their hands on the brand new battle royale mode that will be making its debut in Black Ops 4. The beta was a massive success, with fans and streamers alike saying how impressed they were. Now, it seems like a couple of major Twitch streamers may be dropping hints that we haven’t seen the last of Blackout before Black Ops 4 officially releases on October 12. All of the streamers who have hinted at the return of the beta are involved in the ‘Doritos Bowl’, a Blackout event being held at Twitchcon on October 27. While this doesn’t confirm that the beta is returning, it could perhaps add some legitimacy to the rumours. Shroud was playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with fellow streamer Chad Goff on September 19 when he said “Blackout tomorrow, woo!” before quickly backtracking by repeating “No, no.” while Chad questioned the statement. Elsewhere, rock band Avenged Sevenfold announced on Twitter that the new music video for their song ‘Mad Hatter’ would be exclusively premiering on Dr. DisRespect’s stream on September 20. While this would line up with Shroud’s comment, it’s worth noting that ‘Mad Hatter’ was made specifically for Black Ops 4s Zombies mode, and the Doc is also set to host a PUBG tournament on the same day. Another popular streamer in the form of Jake “ChocoTaco” Throop dropped a hint recently that he didn’t think fans had seen the last of the Blackout beta. When a fan in his chat stated “This is it, no more betas,” the Chicago native replied by saying “Uh, Just wait and see about that, I would say”. Of course, all of these hints are far from concrete, and we may not see the return of the Blackout beta before the mode launches with the full Black Ops 4 game on October 12. There has been no official announcement from Treyarch or Activision regarding the beta.

  • Controversial Warzone companion app makes big changes to stop SBMM exploits – Dexerto

Controversial Warzone companion app makes big changes to stop SBMM exploits ActivisionThe controversial Warzone companion app that showed players the K/D’s and detailed stats of everyone in their lobby has made a number of changes in response to claims that it was ruining the battle royale. Like many other multiplayer games, Call of Duty Warzone has been plagued with complaints and issues surrounding skill-based matchmaking – SBMM – and after the Black Ops Cold War integration, it’s still a major issue. The debate about SBMM was intensified further when some PC players started using an unofficial Warzone companion app as a way to find if there were cheaters in their game. However, the app allowed users to get a detailed overview of the other teams and players in their lobby before the game started, so they could pick and choose who they wanted to play against. Some players claimed that the app had gone beyond just outing cheaters and was “ruining” the game altogether. Though, the app’s creators have stepped in and made some changes. According to Eurogamer, the team behind the app – COD Stats – rolled out a patch on January 4, making it so that certain stats would no longer show up until after the pre-match warm-up period had ended. Previously, the stats would be available during the warm-up period, so players could duck out pretty quickly if they didn’t like what they were up against. Users could also report potential cheaters before a game, but this is now not possible. Dmitry Shymko, the owner of the app and COD Stats site, told Eurogamer that the app had been intended to be used as a tool to “help the community” and “highlight” cheaters. “What is a bit sad is most of the discussion is focused on finding ways to abuse but not about the advantages and positive sides of the app,” he said. Yep it’s Official Warzone is Chalked This app ruins the game completely and now makes a lot of things make sense🙃 pic.twitter.com/6J5hwYKtvw — JaredFPS (@JaredFPS) January 3, 2021 Though it has been changed, the app is not going away. Shymko added that he and his team will still be taking on feedback to develop the app moving forward. Whether or not the app continues to be a hot button topic for Warzone players after its changes, however, remains to be seen.

  • Controversial Black Ops 4 specialist now banned in CWL for Search and Destroy – Dexerto

Controversial Black Ops 4 specialist now banned in CWL for Search and Destroy Following the announcement of the V1 CWL ruleset for Black Ops 4 on October 26, changes have already been made, including the addition of a map and restriction of a controversial specialist. Hacienda was added to the Hardpoint map rotation after calls from professional players, and now one of the other big complaints has also been addressed. The ‘Torque’ specialist, which grants players who use him a Razor Wire and Barricade, will now be restricted in Search and Destroy for any CWL related matches – including the upcoming 2K tournament. The decision has perhaps come following a clip which went viral online, showing a player use the Razor Wire in combination with the Barricade to prevent their opponent having any chance of defusing. By simply placing the Razor Wire directly over the bomb, and the Barricade (which has a guardian damage effect) adjacent, the opponent had absolutely no chance of winning the round. Now, the CWL rules have been updated to restrict Torque’s use – but only in Search and Destroy. The specialist will still be permitted in Hardpoint and Control. “Torque is now restricted in Search and Destroy, but is allowed in Control and Hardpoint. This change is effective for all CWL Variant matches after 6pm ET on Monday, October 29.” More: There’s a tiger in a secret area under the Hacienda map in Black Ops 4, and it’s causing problems – Many competitive players will be happy with this change, especially since Torque actually received a significant buff in the October 30 update for Black Ops 4. His Barricade will now be earned faster and do more ‘hit points’, although Treyarch did say that specialists may receive specific tuning for CWL rulesets, separate to the regular public match balancing.

  • Contracts finally added to Black Ops 4 – Here’s how they work – Dexerto

Contracts finally added to Black Ops 4 – Here’s how they work ActivisionCall of Duty developers Treyarch have finally added Contracts to Black Ops 4, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up on exactly how they work. Contracts have been a popular aspect of the past several Call of Duty titles, giving players an additional way to earn rewards across all of the major game modes. After months of players expressing their frustration at the lack of Contracts in Black Ops 4, Treyarch finally introduced them across all platforms on June 25, via the v1.19 update. This new system gives players specific challenges to complete in matches, allowing them to earn additional rewards in Multiplayer, League Play, Zombies, and Blackout battle royale. Read More: Michael Condrey claims Activision are making Modern Warfare controversial for “headlines” – There will be 28 total challenges available at any given time, some of which will be refreshed on daily basis, while others may be available for a longer time period. How to redeem Contracts in Black Ops 4 There are three easy steps that go into earning rewards by completing Contracts: STEP 1: Visit the Contracts menu and choose two out of the 28 that are available. There will be six Contracts available for each of the four modes, along with one additional Daily Contract. Within each mode’s list of challenges, two will be marked as ‘Hard’, but you will be rewarded for your efforts with better rewards. – STEP 2: After you’ve selected the Contracts, load into the corresponding game mode and complete the challenge(s) listed in that Contract. – STEP 3: Upon completion, you will be rewarded with an in-game prize that goes along with the Contract. You can now also go back to the menu and choose more Contracts to complete . – Other Blackout updates In addition to the new Contracts system introduced for all four major game modes, Blackout has received several new features of its own. Included in the update were new Blackjack’s Stashes, Humiliations, Sentry Turret, and Medals, which will be granted to players for completing certain events or tasks in the battle royale mode, much like Multiplayer.

  • Contracts confirmed for Black Ops 4 – Release date, details and more – Dexerto

Contracts confirmed for Black Ops 4 – Release date, details and more TreyarchThe Black Ops 4 devs shared a full breakdown of their upcoming Contracts on June 20 which will be giving its players tons of new ways for earning in-game rewards with constantly rotating challenges. Treyarch knows its community have been wanting a more steady avenue for getting in-game items and rewards. Previously, the devs were hit with harsh criticisms on all sides for pay-to-win weapons or other controversial armaments found within Reserve Crates. But it looks like the devs are in maintenance mode and are releasing an alternative form of earning some of the game’s more elusive items, if a player is willing to put the time in the game. “We’ve heard the community’s requests for more rewards through gameplay in all modes, and we’re expanding Contracts to provide new benefits for playing Multiplayer, Blackout, Zombies, and World League,” Treyarch said. Active and Daily Contracts Coming to all platforms on June 25, the Black Ops 4 player base are going to get a massive amount of Contracts to complete. Every mode in the game is going to carry its “own unique challenges to complete,” with total freedom on how players fulfill the challenge. With that said, a global Daily Contract will be available to players along with six Active Contracts to choose from in every mode. Since there’s four modes in Black Ops 4, that gives players about 28 Contracts readily available to complete at any time. However, players will have to stay on top of their tasks since only three Contracts can be “active” at once; one Daily along with two “player-selected” Active Contracts. As the name suggests, the Daily Contracts will refresh every 24 hours, regardless if it’s completed since it will be replaced by a new one the next day. On the other hand, those Active Contracts will “refresh at regular intervals.” Upon activating a Contract, players can make as much progress they want on it. If they choose to activate a different contract in its place, they will still retain the progress made while its on standby. While the pool of Contracts eventually get swapped out, if you’ve been making tons of progress on an activated Contract, it will never expire. This means that progress will be lost only on the inactive Contracts that have yet to be completed. In any pool of Contracts there will be two types that players can activate, Standard and Hard Contracts. The Standard can range from getting “5 kills with Airborne Scorestreaks” while a Hard one is something like getting “5 multikills as a result of using a Specialist Weapon.” While not impossible on both fronts, there’s obviously a disparity of difficulty when choosing which Contract to activate. Rewards upon Completing a Contract Finished Contracts can give out great rewards like a Reserve Crate or two. Moreover, Bonus XP can be earned for any of the Multiplayer, Zombies and World League modes. But for Zombies specifically Contracts can even hand out Bonus Nebulium Plasma, meanwhile Blackouts players can get Bonus Merits. The new Contract system will not affect the Reserve Case drop rate that players already get by just playing games. Similarly, Daily Tier Skips will also be unaffected in all modes by the new Contracts in Black Ops 4. Ultra Weapon Bribes While the new Contract system will give players a lot of opportunities to get new rewards, Treyarch is also changing their Weapon Bribes feature in an “upcoming update.” The first Ultra Weapon Bribes will give players a “Black Market weapon that you don’t own.” But for the Call of Duty diehards, if they have own any variant of all the Black Market weapons, then Ultra Weapon Bribes are going to hand out “a MKII Weapon, Mastercraft, or other variant that you haven’t unlocked yet.” Read more: Black Ops 4 June 18 update patch notes – Ground war improvements, Playlist updates, and more – Furthermore, it looks like Treyarch are preparing a “new special event” within the current Operation that will let players earn an Ultra Weapon Bribe through Contraband, with more options in the future to complete their Black Market weapon collection. It seems as if Treyarch are pulling out all the stops to get players back into grinding games with Contracts, which will hopefully let more people get their hands on some of the more rare items in the game.

  • Console Warzone players baffled by unique video showing impact of FOV – Dexerto

Console Warzone players baffled by unique video showing impact of FOV ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone players exist in two different worlds: console and PC. Now, a unique, artsy video is shocking the former group, as it shows PlayStation and Xbox players just how much FOV can change your perception of speed. Field of view plays an important role in video games, as it can impact both the information you’re able to gather and how you perceive things. In Warzone, it’s become a hot topic as console players (including PS5 and Xbox Series X users) hope for the FOV Slider options their PC counterparts enjoy. Unlike console players, who are restricted to 80 FOV, PC players can push their settings all the way up to 120. That gives them more peripheral vision to see enemies, but can also make guns feel like they have less recoil (as with the C58 Royal & Kross scope). One thing that casual viewers notice when watching Warzone streamers is that said streamers look much faster. And that is also attributed to FOV. As shown in a unique video that was cross-posted to the Warzone subreddit, FOV dramatically impacts how you perceive speed. In the video, which was initially posted to the ‘woahdude’ subreddit, you can see a first-person view of a train conductor looking forward. The clip starts zoomed all the way out and it feels like the train is moving quite quickly. Then, as the lens shifts further inward, the sensation of speed is slowed. By the time it has zoomed all the way in, with the lowest FOV, it feels like the train must be casually strolling down the tracks. The entire video is a trippy experience and it has baffled Warzone players, who immediately saw the parallel between FOV Slider changes between PC and console. A number of comments center on responses like “this really puts it into perspective.” For additional perspective, one needs to look no further (pun intended) than Dead Silence. Console players may have noticed how much faster they feel with Dead Silence equipped and, apparently, that’s because it changes the FOV from 80 to 90. At the moment, it’s unclear when FOV Slider changes may come to console. In the meantime, at least there’s a cool video we all got to enjoy… and an explanation for why PC players seem to move so darn quick.

  • Console Warzone player reveals bug that might finally get devs’ attention – Dexerto

Console Warzone player reveals bug that might finally get devs’ attention ActivisionAs Warzone continues to come under fire from players fed up with bugs and hackers, a console gamer has discovered a glitch that might be too big for Activision to actually ignore. Despite being one of the most popular battle royale games, Warzone has had a rocky history. Waves of cheaters, unfortunate bugs, stream sniping and a plethora of other issues have made the game unplayable for many. Although the devs do update frequently and offer plenty of balance changes, some of the core issues have remained untouched, especially on console. That said, there is a big problem with the game that the devs might actually take note of and try to fix immediately… all because it affects their bottom line. Warzone bug could be too big for Activision to ignore In a popular Reddit video by user ‘mriv15,’ the player shows off many issues with the game on console including frozen buy stations, invisible operators, and being unable to check out weapon camos. One problem, however, might get the devs’ attention: having issues navigating the in-game store. Instead of items showing up like normal, players just get black boxes that prevent them from buying anything. “This is the clip that’s going to convince Activision [to] fix this,” the poster cheekily captioned that section of the video. Others agreed with one remarking, “woah hold up the store is broken? Get the authorities on the phone right now.” We’ll have to see if the game does in fact get updated on console to fix the store issues, but it’s clear there are more problems that just ones that hurt how much money Warzone is generating.

  • Confusing Warzone bug hurts player when they shoot enemies – Dexerto

Confusing Warzone bug hurts player when they shoot enemies ActivisionWhile the worst of Call of Duty: Warzone bugs seem to have passed, a new one has appeared and it is very weird: it destroys your own armor when you destroy an enemy’s, seemingly dealing self-damage. Warzone has had nightmarish map-clipping glitches, invisibility bugs, and the infamous Infinite Stim exploits. But this new bug is more confusing than the rest, as the CoD community simply cannot figure out how it works. Twitch streamer Wagnificent spotted an unsuspecting enemy, beamed them from afar without having a single bullet shot in his direction, only to find out that his armor was broken as soon as he cracked his enemy’s. The clip is mightily confusing and makes this a very bizarre bug, with various Twitter replies wondering what on earth happened. Ummm I’ll PayPal the first person who tells me how I lost full plates in this sequence $100 pic.twitter.com/dRFX1YwJmd — Wagnificent (@Wagnificentt) June 14, 2021 As you can see in Wag’s clip, he absolutely smokes an enemy with his CR-56 AMAX and no bullets are sent his way. Somehow, though, as soon as Wag gets the blue and cracks his victim’s armor, all three of his plates suddenly break as well. While this bug had no impact in the moment, as Wag was able to go get his kill without any issues, it is a very puzzling one. And you know something is confusing when even JGOD seems surprised by it. There seem to be three possibilities here: 1) the game falsely registered the cracked plates on both players, 2) there was an invisible snipe that didn’t show on Wag’s side, or 3) this is a HUD issue where Wag still had full plates, but they weren’t shown on-screen. If it’s the first, then this bug could absolutely ruin people’s games in the future. If it’s either of the latter two, then that’s somewhat reassuring but also worrisome. As of yet, the bug does not appear on the developers’ Trello board, so it seems that Raven Software are unaware. We’ll update if that changes.

  • Confused Warzone players think Rebirth Island map ‘flipped’ in S2 Reloaded update – Dexerto

Confused Warzone players think Rebirth Island map ‘flipped’ in S2 Reloaded update ActivisionWarzone players have been left thoroughly confused after the Season 2 Reloaded update appeared to ‘flip’ Rebirth Island the opposite way around. The Season 2 Reloaded update brought a number of changes to Rebirth Island, including map and POI changes as well as the promise of new features and modes. Players were incredibly excited to see Rebirth being shown some love, but one change they weren’t anticipating was feeling completely lost on the map — and some players are starting to experience that. While the patch notes didn’t suggest anything of the sort, many Rebirth players have said that they feel like the map has “flipped” since the update. Shortly after the update went live, players started to realize they were having issues on Rebirth Island, thinking they were headed a certain way or just feeling like things didn’t look quite right. This led a number of players to believe that Rebirth Island had been ‘flipped’, almost like a mirrored view of what it was before. https://twitter.com/ntshay_/status/1506840060603289600?s=21 In the TikTok below, you can see how much this is confusing players, unsure on what exactly is happening. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load Is Rebirth Island flipped? Despite what many players believe, it looks as though Rebirth Island wasn’t actually flipped by the Warzone devs. In fact, as suggested in the video above, it seems that the sun was simply flipped to the other side of the map, at least according to Warzone guru JGOD. As a result, the lighting is basically working in the opposite direction that it was before, so the small visual cues players look for are essentially the other way around. So if you’re dropping into Rebirth Island and feeling a little confused about why it looks different, don’t worry, because you’re definitely not the only one.

  • CompLexity’s Censor Explains Why He Rage Quit Against OpTic Gaming at CWL Anaheim – Dexerto

CompLexity’s Censor Explains Why He Rage Quit Against OpTic Gaming at CWL Anaheim YouTube/FaZe CensorAfter a recent episode of Vision was uploaded documenting OpTic’s run at CWL Anaheim, it raised questions after showing a behind the scenes moment where Doug “Censor” Martin appeared to rage quit after losing the series. And not only did he rage quit, he also walked away quickly refusing to shake the hands of the OpTic players which is typically seen as a significant sign of disrespect following a series. As Censor explains, CompLexity badly needed to win the match in order to have a chance to qualify in the top two spots in their group and advance to the winners bracket. The two teams were tied at the break after the first two maps, and upon returning to the the side station to resume, a technical difficulty became apparent to Censor and his teammates. Censor has explained in his video addressing the situation that Rasim “Blazt” Ogresevic’s mic was not working properly, meaning none of his teammates could hear his communication in the crucial match. The issue was noticed early in the map according to Censor, and he claims to have immediately notified the ref, but was told to play on regardless. “The ref said, ‘game goes on, keep playing’. So, I don’t understand, I’ve never been in this situation before, keep that in mind. But I was like, ‘I just don’t understand, we can’t hear our teammate, the map literally just started, nothing has happened yet.’ The ref just isn’t talking to us, like we weren’t getting any communication back. So I’m like ‘listen, I don’t know what to do but we can’t hear our teammate right now, what are we supposed to do?’ And he just kept looking over at us, looking kind of confused.” Unsurprisingly, OpTic quickly took the lead by capturing a flag, and at this point Censor explains he was infuriated with the ref’s lack of intervention. “OpTic Gaming scored a flag because we weren’t playing the game, I got so angry because nothing was going on. I couldn’t get any communication from the ref. So I just said, ‘guys, leave the game right now. We’re ending this game.’ So my whole team leaves the game. It turns out it’s against the rules to leave the match and it’s automatically a forfeit. I should have known this, I should’ve read the handbook, like I said I made a mistake. […] We were so infuriated. We ended up losing map four, we were extremely upset. I didn’t know how to handle it and unfortunately I handled it in a negative way. That’s my fault, that’s my mistake and I apologize for that. It wasn’t OpTic Gaming’s fault, they had nothing to do with it. They said they would have been down to do a replay.” You can watch the full video from Censor explaining the situation in more detail below.

  • CompLexity’s Censor Believes Black Ops 4 Will be The ‘Saving Grace’ for Call of Duty – Dexerto

CompLexity’s Censor Believes Black Ops 4 Will be The ‘Saving Grace’ for Call of Duty CompLexity Gaming player Doug “Censor” Martin had a chance to get hands on time with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 courtesy of Activision, and has some very positive things to say about the upcoming game. Many fans of the Call of Duty series are looking to the next instalment in the Black Ops series to live up to the hype generated by what is the most successful sub-franchise in the series, but doubts always begin to creep in with the uncertainty of the next game. A vocal majority of Call of Duty fans were unhappy with the futuristic setting of 2016’s Infinite Warfare, something Activision itself has recognized, with the next title taking CoD back to the 1940’s. However, while fans got their wishes for a ‘boots on the ground game’ and a classic setting, some were left uninspired by CoD: WWII, perhaps feeling it was a little too stripped back. Censor recognizes this, and reckons that Black Ops 4 will be the “saving grace” of the Call of Duty series, as it faces increasing competition from other popular titles, particularly on console. “I think Black Ops 4 will be the saving grace for Call of Duty. I know we say this almost every single year, but all the Black Ops games have such a good history. Black Ops 1 was amazing, Black Ops II was one of the best Call of Duty’s and I loved Black Ops III, I thought it was a really fun game. Black Ops 4 has to be good. There’s no way they make three games before this one and then the fourth one is not good.” Censor also acknowledges that while the community was very excited for CoD: WWII, many were disappointed with the final release, especially after a patchy launch period. But he believes Black Ops 4 will live up to the hype. “I know a lot of you guys aren’t really the biggest fans of WWII, and I totally get that. But I hope Black Ops 4 is going to be good. I made a lot of Call of Duty videos on Black Ops III, and I think Black Ops 4 will live up the hype. I think it’s going to be a really fun game and really hope that you guys can give it a chance.” You can watch Censor’s full video, including footage from the Black Ops 4 map frequency, where he discusses what he thinks Treyarch need to get right.

  • CompLexity Players’ Hilarious ‘Esports Dictionary’ Video Explaining Competitive Call of Duty Language – Dexerto

CompLexity Players’ Hilarious ‘Esports Dictionary’ Video Explaining Competitive Call of Duty Language The compLexity Gaming Call of Duty team have released a new video in which they explain the meaning behind certain words used in competitive CoD, with some hilarious explanations. CoD esports, similarly to many other esports especially other FPS titles, has a unique set of terminology which to untrained ear might sound like complete gibberish. In an attempt to help those who may be unfamiliar, the compLexity squad of Doug “Censor” Martin, Ricky “Ricky” Stacy, Rasim “Blazt” Ogresevic and Brandon “Dashy” Otell are on hand to give you a run through of some of the more obscure terms. The classics and standard words are all there, such as ‘absolute’, ‘Gamebattles’ and ‘pro points’, as well as some of the more obscure ones like ‘turnt’ and ‘fried’. More: eUnited Twins Prestinni and Arcitys Reveal How Becoming CoD Pros Changed Their Entire Family’s Life – Perhaps the best explanation though, was Censor’s example of the term ‘burger’. Some have attributed the use of this word in CoD to 2013 World Champion Adam “Sloss” KiLLa, and it remains common to this day. “Anyone can be a burger, it doesn’t have to be specific players. Like, FormaL is a burger right now, though FormaL is a champs MVP – he’s a burger right now. A burger is someone who doesn’t want to put in the effort to play, doesn’t want to get better, doesn’t try to get better, isn’t winning their gunfights. It’s when you are doing everything wrong as a player. I think what defines a player as a burger is someone who believes they’re a burger.” They also broke down the classic term “lost full”, which has been popularized in Call of Duty over some years now – this time giving an example of his own teammate. “Lost full is when you just get really upset with your teammates or a situation in the game and you get enraged. So you lose ‘full composure’, meaning you don’t have your composure anymore and keeping your composure in Call of Duty is very important.” Dashy gave the example of his teammate Ricky, showing even a veteran in the competitive scene will lose their composure occasionally. “Against eUnited it was bad, he was screaming like ‘what are we doing?!’, ‘Brandon why are you challenging?! Just stay alive!’ – he’s going to see this and be so pissed.” You can watch the full video from compLexity breaking down Call of Duty lingo below.

  • compLexity Gaming Could Already Be Looking to Sign Karma for the Upcoming Black Ops 4 Season – Dexerto

compLexity Gaming Could Already Be Looking to Sign Karma for the Upcoming Black Ops 4 Season CompLexity Gaming were eliminated from the 2018 CWL Championships during the third day of competition, and the org is already looking ahead to the upcoming Black Ops 4 season. With the next Call of Duty title scheduled to be released mid-October, compLexity has close to two months to assemble their envisioned roster. Just after the team lost to Red Reserve in the first round of the Losers Bracket, coL CEO and Founder Jason Lake sent out a tweet thanking his players and team coach for all their hard work. He followed that up with another tweet in which he made it clear that the org would be “evaluating all options” for Black Ops 4 and welcomed any interested players to contact him. However, all of this should be treated as nothing more than speculation, as Karma’s future is likely to be a hot topic over the next few months. As of now, he is still a member of OpTic Gaming’s content creation team, and it is not out of the question that he could be brought back to the Greenwall’s CoD team for the Black Ops 4 season.

  • compLexity Gaming announce major news regarding their Call of Duty pro team – Dexerto

compLexity Gaming announce major news regarding their Call of Duty pro team North American esports organization compLexity Gaming have announced major news in regards to their Call of Duty roster for the upcoming Black Ops 4 season. The team revealed on October 2 that the three remaining players on the roster – Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacy, Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, and Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevic – have been released and are all free agents effective immediately. “We had looked at building a roster with these three, keeping our pool play spot,” said Scott, manager of coL’s Call of Duty team. “But we just couldn’t figure out something that made sense. These guys have worked extremely hard and been extremely dedicated; I wish them nothing but the best.” With these three players now gone, and last season’s standout player Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell having moved to OpTic Gaming last week, compLexity have no active players left on their roster for the upcoming season. However, Scott made it clear that coL will not be giving up on Black Ops 4, and will continue looking to build a competitive five-man squad. “This doesn’t mean it’s the end for us. We’re keeping our eyes open for new opportunities, a new roster,” he said. “We are very, very excited for Black Ops 4.” Despite acquiring the players needed to qualify for last season’s Pro League Stage 2, compLexity were largely unable to make much noise at any of the major events, failing to place higher than 11-12. The future remains unclear for Ricky, Censor, and Blazt, who now find themselves in search of a new organization to compete for in Black Ops 4. All three players have already tweeted out that they are free agents, and it’s not yet clear whether they are interesting in teaming again for the upcoming season. • CompLexity and eUnited Battle Five Map Series with Big Clutches and Chairs are Punched at CWL Pro League – Dexerto

CompLexity and eUnited Battle Five Map Series with Big Clutches and Chairs are Punched at CWL Pro League One of the highlight matches of the CWL Pro League Stage Two so far was undoubtedly the feisty contest between compLexity and eUnited, as the maps went back and forth before coming to an intense finish. The two teams came in with similar records, with compLexity sitting at 2-3 series count and eUnited 2-2, but eUnited were likely favorites given their win over Rise Nation. But eUnited did have a shaky start to week two of Division B with a game five loss to UNILAD, while compLexity had been comfortably beaten 3-0 by OpTic Gaming. In fact, with the exception of their 3-1 win over Mindfreak, all of eUnited’s matches so far have gone to a deciding game five. And the same was to be true in this match, as neither team could gain momentum, trading the maps between each other. The first map required two 40+ kill games from both James “Clayster” Eubanks and Tyler “FeLo” Johnson to prevent a spirited coL performance, but compLexity were the better team in the first SnD, winning 6-2. A more comfortable 7-2 CTF win for eUnited was answered back again on the second hardpoint, with coL winning 250-139. Game five, almost predicably, went to round eleven, were CompLexity narrowly came out on top. And after such a narrow defeat – once again in game five – eUnited’s Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson struggled to keep his anger under control – lashing out at the defenseless main stage chair. It goes to show just how narrow the margin of victory can be at this level, and eUnited will know better than anyone how each map and series win is crucial, after they only just managed to secure their spot at Stage One playoffs. The win is huge for compLexity, who were in danger of slipping down the rankings, but will be spurred on by this victory. eUnited (vs Tainted Minds) and compLexity (vs Luminosity) will play their last matches of Division B before the break for CWL Anaheim on Thursday June 7th.

  • Complete Blackout map guide: everything you need to know about the battle royale map in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

Complete Blackout map guide: everything you need to know about the battle royale map in Black Ops 4 A Reddit user has posted a fully labelled Blackout map, with locations and descriptions everything you need to know about vehicles and stash spawns, best looting areas, mystery boxes and more. Blackout was a hit during its beta week, with players around the world reacting generally very positively to the CoD series’ first foray into battle royale. When the PC beta went live on Friday September 14, streamers like Ninja, Shroud, Lirik, Dr DisRespect and more helped the game peak at almost 600,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, which was more than double what the multiplayer beta managed to attract. Because it is battle royale, there is more to the map than any other in Call of Duty history, which will come with time when the full game is launched and players can really get their teeth into it. But to give yourself the upper hand on October 12, Reddit user u/sergii17 has made a very helpful map guide, with literally everything notable pointed out. Most useful will be the mystery box and stash spawns, were you will hopefully find special gear – but these are not consistent from game to game. Legend: Small loot area – 3-4 buildings – 5+ buildings – Possible mystery box spawn – Helicopter spawn – Underground area – It should be noted, that this map is only accurate at the time of the beta end, on September 17. When the full game releases, there is a chance that some of these areas have been changed, and spawn points adjusted. Further, Treyarch has strongly hinted at map additions in the future, perhaps with inspiration drawn from other classic Call of Duty maps. Some fans have suggested the map ‘Hijack’ from Black Ops 2 could be added somewhere in the sea area of the map. Treyarch has promised the Blackout mode will be supported heavily post launch with updates and fixes, so it is very likely new points of interest will be added. But, for initial launch on October 12, this map should be the perfect companion for when you infiltrate the Blackout map for the first time.

  • Competitive CoD Community Votes for Their Top Three Most Disliked Pro Players – Dexerto

Competitive CoD Community Votes for Their Top Three Most Disliked Pro Players Nick Gigante / RedditThe Call of Duty esports scene, just as with nearly every professional sports and esports, has a large number of polarizing pro players. Whether its their personalities and/or attitudes, as well as rivalries between the teams they play for, players will often attract favoritism from some competitive CoD fans, while drawing dislike from others. However, for various reasons, some pro players find that a lot more fans are averse to them than those that actually like them. In order to determine who the most disliked pro CoD players are among the scene’s vast fan-base, Reddit user ‘CoD_Doc’ created a survey on the competitive CoD reddit page. The survey gave community members the chance to vote for the players they dislike the most, second most, and third most. Read More: CWL Announce Fan-Voted Players From Division A to Participate in Upcoming CWL Anaheim All-Star Game – Surprisingly, and unfortunately for one pro player, the results came back with the same name atop all of the three categories. Team Kaliber’s Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi was voted the first, second, and third most disliked player by the community members, essentially giving him the unanimous majority across the board. For the Most Disliked category, Accuracy got 48.10% of the votes, a whopping 39.20% more than the second highest tally, which belonged to OpTic Gaming’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner. For the 2nd Most Disliked option, 27.21% of fans voted for Accuracy, more than double the amount of votes that went for the next name on the list, which was Rise Nation’s Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat. The trend continued for the 3rd Most Disliked category, as Accuracy took the voting18.45% of the vote, although the margins across the voting for this category were much closer. The entirety of the results post for the ‘Most Disliked Players’ survey can be seen below, or on the official CoDCompetitive Reddit page. – Ok… I’ll start by saying I almost didn’t post this. The last thing I want to do is make the pros think we hate them. I’m going to try and have faith that we won’t make this a complete roast-fest and can provide feedback on why players have rubbed us the wrong way. Also, I really want everyone to keep in mind that “most disliked” players are probably even more of a flip flop opinion than the most liked. This means that our least favorite players change ALL THE TIME, and this was from a snapshop in time a little under a month ago. Now that my disclaimers are out of the way… here we go. And Accuracy… I’m apologizing in advance. I actually feel kinda bad. MOST DISLIKED PLAYERS Well… this is awkward. Accuracy accumulated almost 50 percent of all allocated points towards most disliked, to the point that I couldn’t fit pictures of people’s faces without covering their bar or making the faces too small to recognize. Let’s provide some feedback… what is it that people really dislike? I’ll be honest, he’s not my favorite but he’s not even on my top 5 for most disliked so this was really surprising – Most of these are the usual suspects and probably gather some hate from rival teams (OG players, Clay, Formal, etc.). However a few of these names didn’t appear on the “favorites” list, so its not exactly like they’re just getting hate from opposing fans. Notably, Slasher, Parasite and General). – *As we established in the last post, Scump is a love/hate type of guy, and we see here the opposite end of that position. However… keep in mind he only netted 8% of the “hate”. Personally I’m surprised to see Formal on this list. I understand the Crim/Scump OG-hater votes, but I didn’t expect formal above Crim. Not sure how to interpret that – 2nd MOST DISLIKED This is going to become a theme. Unfortunately Accuracy gets the votes again – OK OK we get it… Accuracy. However I’m really interested in some of the names that pop up here that didn’t get any 1st place “hate”. Most shocking to me is Kenny. He seems like a nice guy to me… I don’t understand. Someone explain. – Other notable names that never appeared on previous data include Loony, TJ Haly, Fero, and Temp. Some I see why, some I don’t, but again I’d love to hear people chime in – Is Slacked’s appearance just because of the GA jokes or do people really not like him? Again he seems nice, if a little quick to pull the trigger on GAs. – 3rd MOST DISLIKED Accuracy again. Moving on – New names to the list include… Skrapz? What? Goofy personality… but I don’t get it. – Anyways, lets reiterate that while favorite teams are unlikely to change day to day, favorite and least favorite players are, so while this is certainly interesting… be nice?

  • Competitive CoD reaches new heights with record-breaking CWL Las Vegas – Dexerto

Competitive CoD reaches new heights with record-breaking CWL Las Vegas MLGCall of Duty World League have revealed that the CWL Vegas Open Black Ops 4 event broke a number of different records. The event, which ran from December 7-9, marked the beginning of the competitive Black Ops 4 season and kicked off the year with a bang. 272 teams competed across three rooms at Vegas for a chance to taste glory. The shining light of the gruelling open bracket, Team Sween, finished second in a stacked Pool A on their way to claiming a 5-6th finish overall. After a dreadful WW2 season and a great online start to Black Ops 4, OpTic Gaming claimed victory in Vegas without dropping a series and defeating eUnited in the Grand Finals by a 3-0 scoreline with over 200k viewers watching on. The tournament became the highest viewed CWL open event ever whilst having the most teams and largest field of competitors at a CWL event and double the social engagement for any CWL open event. Issuing a thanks to fans on Twitter, the CWL tweeted: “Thank you for making CWL Las Vegas the biggest season-opening event in our history, and one of the biggest competitions ever in the Call of Duty World League. Congratulations to OpTic Gaming, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and all CWL Fans!” Thank you. :yellow_heart: Congrats to the #Greenwall, #BlackOps4, and all CWL fans. pic.twitter.com/ZBo08sI4eh — Call of Duty World League (@CODWorldLeague) December 14, 2018 However, with only six events outside the Pro League, chances to break further records going forward will be slim. The roadmap for the Black Ops 4 season was laid out just prior to the start of the Vegas event, with MLG announcing a further three open tournaments – Fort Worth, the UK and the traditional Anaheim event – outside of the World League finals and Call of Duty Championships.

  • Competitive Call of Duty community reacts to SupremeAgility skipping out on CWL Pro League Qualifiers – Dexerto

Competitive Call of Duty community reacts to SupremeAgility skipping out on CWL Pro League Qualifiers Mazer Gaming / CWLAspiring Call of Duty squads are ramping up for the CWL Pro League Qualifiers on January 16, but Mazer Gaming had a cumbersome setback as a player called in sick the day before the games, raising opinions from many in the scene. Mazer Gaming were able to secure their spot in the Pro League Qualifiers with a 17-20th place finish at the CWL Las Vegas Open. Yet, the excitement turned to panic as Joey ‘SupremeAgility’ Torres called in sick at the last minute, leaving Mazer to scramble for a replacement. The CWL were sympathetic to Mazer’s plight and allowed them to restock their roster, but the event left a sore spot for many in the CWL scene who lashed out at the missing player. We are proud to announce that @VividTheWarrior will be replacing SupremeAgility’s spot on the Mazer Gaming roster for the CWL Pro League Qualifier. See you guys tomorrow. #MazerCOD — Mazer Gaming™ (@MazerHQ) January 15, 2019 In the hours following the incident, CoD pros spoke out against this kind of behavior from any player for its lack of professionalism. “Pathetic and honestly mind-blowing that SupremeAgility is doing this again to another team,” said G2’s Martin ‘Chino’ Chino. “… These are chances you can’t miss out on and he should be in trouble for this.” Pathetic and honestly mind blowing that SupremeAgility is doing this again to another team. I’m currently sick but do you think I would ever leave my teammates out to dry on a life changing moment? These are chances you can’t miss out on and he should be in trouble for this. — G2 :point_right::skin-tone-4: (@MJCheen) January 15, 2019 Players empathized with the strife, pressure, and frustration the Mazer team must have gone through in the previous 24 hours. Many drew from their past experiences and reflected on how aggravated they would be if an opportunity to play in the PQL was suddenly jeopardized. “I’m actually mindblown at what I’m hearing. No way someone is screwing my career over because they got ‘sick’ and can’t make the PLQ. Not only that.. they said they couldn’t make the first event because they were “sick”. I’m actually heated for my friend,” eUnited’s Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris said. I’m actually mindblown at what I’m hearing. SupremeAgility should be banned. If he isn’t, the community needs to come together and blacklist him. The only thing “sickening” is what he’s done to his teammates. Not just once, but twice now. — Ben ‘Benson’ Bowe (@Benson_EU) January 15, 2019 Wait so supremeagility gets sick before Vegas and doesn’t attend, then he gets sick before PLQ and doesn’t attend. The two biggest events of his career.. I’m sorry but ifs it’s just a cold or even strep throat I’m pushing through that. — Nicholas (@Equuip) January 15, 2019 If SupremeAgility doesn’t quit forever, he needs to be blacklisted. I feel bad for the guys he’s done this too twice now. Been grinding since Vegas with a squad to just say fuck you. — Alex (@aApolllo) January 15, 2019 Incredibly unfortunate news to hear that “”SupremeAgility”” can’t make the Pro League Qualifier due to sickness. That’s a massive opportunity for not only the players, but the organization as well. I’m hoping that Mazer can get a designated 5th for tomorrow. — Landon Sanders (@LandO) January 15, 2019 SupremeAgility as soon as the date said 1/15 pic.twitter.com/QEqBssfBGu — eU Simp (@SimpTheSickJoke) January 15, 2019
