CoD leakers tease Warzone 2 map and location ActivisionCall of Duty developers Infinity Ward announced they’d be launching a new iteration of Warzone in the future, and now, early leaks are suggesting that a desert map is next after Caldera. Warzone took the FPS scene by storm in March 2020, and after two years, players can look forward to a fresh coat of paint for the CoD battle royale. With the launch of Modern Warfare 2 expected later this year, it has been revealed that an all-new Warzone experience will be coming alongside it in the form of Warzone 2 – leaving the battle royale that fans know and love in the rearview mirror. Even though details about the new battle royale are thin on the ground, leakers are teasing that Warzone 2‘s map will transport players to a war-torn desert. Warzone 2 potentially eyeing Atacama Desert location Known Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope shared their insight into the Warzone’s next map, saying “based on what I’ve seen behind the scenes and what I’ve been told I think the new map with Warzone 2 might take place here potentially in the Atacama Desert.” “This is not confirmed by me and is only speculation based on behind-the-scenes info” continued Hope. While developers Infinity Ward haven’t officially confirmed any specifics, this early speculation has been corroborated by other leakers. We’ll have more information on the new map as the story develops, so be sure to keep updated with all things Warzone.

CoD leakers say Modern Warfare 2 will have mode similar to Escape From Tarkov – Dexerto
CoD leakers say Modern Warfare 2 will have mode similar to Escape From Tarkov Battlestate Games/ActivisionA couple of Call of Duty leakers, both new and old, have revealed new information about a new mode coming in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 that will supposedly be a lot like Escape from Tarkov. Call of Duty Vanguard has only just been released and, given the game’s issues at launch, it’s no surprise that players have turned their attention to the next installment already. If it’s anything like what we’ve heard so far, it could be incredible, as rumors so far have suggested the game could be the most realistic and graphic CoD yet. As always, take these leaks with a grain of salt and a pinch of pepper, but there’s always a chance they’re accurate. The mode currently in development by Infinity Ward for #ModernWarfareII is apparently more like Escape From Tarkov than Hazard Zone from what I’ve been told. It’s grittier and built from the ground up with this particular mode in mind. “”It’s not an afterthought”” – Current Dev. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) November 8, 2021 CoD meets Escape From Tarkov According to well-known insider and established leaker Tom Henderson, the secret mode in development by Infinity Ward for the rumored Modern Warfare 2 is “more like Escape From Tarkov than Hazard Zone.” He added that it’s grittier and, supposedly, built from the ground up with this mode in mind with a developer specifically stating “it’s not an afterthought.” Fellow leaker RalphsValve added more information, but just like Henderson, emphasized the similarities with Battlestate Games’ Escape from Tarkov. ‘—‘; Resemblant of Battlefield 2042’s slated ‘Hazard Zone’ mode, though more similar in scope to action RPG/Sim, ‘Escape from Tarkov’ — Ralph (@RalphsValve) November 8, 2021 “With the replacement of Special Ops, and the introduction into Modern Warfare II’s 3rd mode, Infinity Ward plans to shed away their standard rudimentary third ‘Spec Ops’ mode for a more fleshed out, cross-disciplinary component of their realistic survival shooter,” he said. Furthermore, he compared it to Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone mode but with more of an action RPG flair such as with Escape from Tarkov. “The objective of the mode is to accumulate loot within several separate maps, before successfully extracting; Plundering through abandoned homes, buildings, vehicles, crates and corpses,” he added, noting how the map infrastructure will greatly vary. The objective of the mode is to accumulate loot within several separate maps, before successfully extracting; Plundering through abandoned homes, buildings, vehicles, crates and corpses. Each maps’ architecture varies between large landmass and vast districts to claustrophobic — Ralph (@RalphsValve) November 8, 2021 Furthermore, there will be many extraction points throughout the maps that will allow players to withdraw with their loot. However, there is an element of risk-reward, as combat will get you more items, but if you die, you’ll likely lose everything you entered with. Windfall map leaked and playercount leak According to Ralph, the gameplay is described as, “A mode where players are able to gamble away their items for the chance of securing a large sum of cash and loot. Once secured, you’ll have to extract, though extraction loads are considerably longer, and AI are tougher.” Further Info ⁃ 20 – 35 player count ⁃ Likely to launch in BETA ⁃ Solo on launch – Duos, Trios and Quads to release subsequently ⁃ Mode to exist independently, rivalling the Multiplayer player base— Ralph (@RalphsValve) November 8, 2021 Additionally, it will have between 20-35 players of varying team sizes duking it out. Luckily, if this holds true, players should be able to give it a go when the mode launches in beta. Hopefully, these leaks end up being accurate and CoD players can have yet another fun game mode to look forward to in 2022.

CoD leakers fully reveal unreleased Warzone Ural Mountains map – Dexerto
CoD leakers fully reveal unreleased Warzone Ural Mountains map ActivisionA group of Call of Duty leakers have managed to reveal gameplay footage of the unreleased Ural Mountains map that was rumored to be for either Warzone or Blackout 2.0. In early 2021, rumors started to swirl that Raven Software would be moving on from the Verdansk map in Warzone and replacing it with something entirely different. As a result, the Ural Mountains locations became a hot topic as leakers from all over started to piece together information about what Raven had up their sleeve. The map has, to this point, never been released, and was actually speculated to be a part of Blackout 2.0 – which was apparently scrapped following the success of Warzone. A few images have surfaced before, but now actual gameplay has leaked out. An 8-minute long video from the Cheezburgerboyz – a group of CoD leakers – was posted late in the day on June 6, giving us a look at the supposed Ural Mountains map. In the video, a player runs through the map, picking up loot just like you would in the normal battle royale mode. The previously leaked HUD, which made some players believe that it wasn’t a part of the current Warzone engine, is also present. So are the different leaked locations such as Zoo, Ruka, Mines, and Sanatorium. Just as the rumors suggested, it is a vast map, and may have allowed the developers to lift the player cap towards 250. https://twitter.com/Cheezburgerboyz/status/1401726100703641602 The video does also play into the rumor that it was a part of Blackout 2.0, rather than Warzone. The player picks up perks and equipment in a similar fashion to how Blackout worked. There’s no telling if this map will never see the light of day or be released later down the line, but the video is an interesting look at what could have been.

CoD leakers claim Blackout’s Alcatraz map is coming to Warzone – Dexerto
CoD leakers claim Blackout’s Alcatraz map is coming to Warzone Treyarch / Infinity Ward[jwplayer br5AuoVJ] Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Alcatraz mode was one of its most popular complements to Blackout battle royale and now leakers have discovered that the prison map could also be coming to Warzone. Based on datamined files, a few prominent leakers are alleging that elements of Black Ops 4’s Alcatraz map have been added to Warzone. Those elements include the names of locations that were made popular in the second Blackout map. While the addition of these assets to the game’s files doesn’t mean a new Alcatraz mode is coming right now, it does coincide with earlier rumors and suggests that the map will be joining the game, possibly in Season 6. Okay, just heard a new rumour that Alcatraz is apparently in the Warzone files… https://t.co/f2DT832KtD— TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevo3) September 13, 2020 https://twitter.com/xXNanikosXx/status/1305092064430809090 As shown by dataminer ‘Nanikos,’ memorable Alcatraz locations like “Cell House” and “Parade Grounds” have been added. Interestingly, well-known leaker ‘TheGamingRevolution’ confirms that these files were “recently added” so they are unlikely to be leftover from Blackout and, instead, signify the map’s return. In Blackout, the Alcatraz Portal Quads mode included just 10 squads of four players and featured round-based re-deployments and Weapon Wallbuys, as were made popular in CoD’s Zombies modes. Essentially, it was a combination of the BR and Zombies, allowing players to respawn a certain number of times but also constantly putting them under threat of attack not just by enemies, but also the living dead. Back in June, it was rumored that Blackout would be making its return “in some form” in 2020, so it’s very possible that this either was referencing the return of Alcatraz as an add-on to Warzone. In late August, another leak suggested that a new mode called “Zombie Royale” would be coming to Warzone in Season 6 or beyond. At the time, it’s leaked description read: “be the last team with a human alive to win. Players turn into Zombies on death, but can become human again by consuming fallen player’s hearts.” While that doesn’t sound exactly like the traditional Portal Quads format in Alcatraz, but for such an extremely unique game type to be added to Warzone, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Call of Duty’s developers joined forces to deploy a throwback map for Zombie Royale to be played on. For a mode that’s rumored to be that dependent on infecting other players, it would be very reasonable to want a smaller map so that teams can’t simply camp the entire time to remain human. If that’s the case, then these leaks are starting to link up perfectly, as Alcatraz is a much more restricted location than Verdansk. Of course, all of this information is based on leaks, so should be taken with a grain of salt. However, considering what’s been rumored and speculated in regards to this over the past few months, don’t be shocked if all ends up coming to fruition.

CoD leaker reveals possible Call of Duty 2020 teaser dates – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals possible Call of Duty 2020 teaser dates ActivisionProminent Call of Duty leaker ‘TheGamingRevolution’ has shed some light on when fans can expect teasers for CoD: Vietnam to drop, even claiming that Warzone players might see some in-game. While Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare and Warzone have each been incredibly successful Call of Duty titles, all eyes are looking forward to the next iteration in the franchise. Tipped to be set in the Cold War era, the next Call of Duty is going to reportedly revolve predominantly around the events from the Vietnam War, and thus will be allegedly titled ‘CoD: Vietnam.’ While the vast majority of information relating to the next Call of Duty has come from leaks and ‘insider reports,’ all signs are pointing towards a prequel of some kind that diverges away from the Black Ops universe. Yet fans have been left in the dark when it comes to all of this information being officially released — that is, up until now. Alongside fellow Call of Duty YouTuber ‘dkdynamite,’ TheGamingRevolution has revealed when teasers for the Vietnam-themed title is set to drop. According to their sources, the reveal was initially set for April, but has since been pushed back to May 2020, in light of the current global situation. To top things off, TGR theorized that Warzone players can expect to see some teasers in-game within due course, given the popularity and mass appeal that Infinity Ward’s battle royale has. Their claims on teaser dates also lineup with a cryptic Tweet that was posted by another prominent leaker ‘LongSensation’ in March, which simply stated “May. 2020.” alongside a GIF of soldiers grounding from choppers on a battlefield. https://twitter.com/longsensationyt/status/1237828005235437569 That’s not all. The pair also claimed that Sledgehammer Games may well be taking the reins on the multiplayer of Call of Duty: 2020, while Treyarch are supposedly chipping away at the campaign and still steering the ship on the project’s development overall. So despite Treyarch reportedly being at the forefront of its development, its possible that the Vietnam-themed CoD will in fact be credited to SHG. Of course, everything obtained from the aforementioned leakers is all up for speculation and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Saying that, however, both TGR and LongSensation have a reliable record for accurate leaks. But for now, only time will tell whether these claims hold any substance.

CoD leaker reveals new details on Modern Warfare II’s Escape From Tarkov-like third mode – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals new details on Modern Warfare II’s Escape From Tarkov-like third mode ActivisionCall of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope has shed more light on Modern Warfare II’s third mode DMZ, doubling down on comparisons to Escape From Tarkov and claiming it will launch in Beta. Despite still being some months off, many Call of Duty fans are brimming with anticipation when it comes to Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II, which has now been confirmed by Activision as the 2022 instalment in the FPS series. Believed to focus on conflict with Colombia’s cartels, it is also set to bring a Warzone sequel about which details are also stacking up. Now, more information about MWII’s third mode has surfaced. Where Treyarch and Sledgehammer games prefer Zombies as the third mode, Infinity Ward has preferred to keep the supernatural out of their titles since Infinite Warfare. That will remain true in MWII, with a DMZ mode rumored. While comparisons to Battlestate Games’ Escape From Tarkov have been made in the past, reputable leaker TheGhostofHope doubled down on them in a series of May 6 tweets, in which he also claimed the mode will launch in Beta. The leaker, who has released information accurately about CoD 2022 in the past, said: “Modern Warfare II’s third mode ‘DMZ’ will launch in BETA.” He then quoted an unknown source, presumably from Activision or Infinity Ward: “Something like the DMZ doesn’t become final until the general public has gotten hands on it. It’s a large mode that needs maintenance.” Modern Warfare II’s third mode ‘DMZ’ will launch in BETA. “Something like the DMZ doesn’t become final until the general public has gotten hands on it. It’s a large mode that needs maintenance.” pic.twitter.com/WN384Y95CW — Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) May 6, 2022 When asked how the game mode is like Tarkov, the leaker explained: “What you take with you you can lose. [It’s] more tactical. Etc.” While the suggestion it will launch in Beta may frustrate some fans, it underlines the mode’s potential to expand and improve throughout the game’s life cycle. It’s also worth mentioning that past leaks do not guarantee the accuracy of this information, which will remain unconfirmed until Activision or Infinity Ward break their silence. We do expect more information on Modern Warfare II this month, so keep your eyes peeled.

CoD leaker reveals Modern Warfare 2 will be brutally realistic: weapons, gore, more – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals Modern Warfare 2 will be brutally realistic: weapons, gore, more ActivisionA supposed Call of Duty leaker has revealed plenty of new details about Infinity Ward’s rumored sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 and explained how the game’s realism will be unheard of for the series. Of course, before we begin, take all of these claims with a grain of salt, but if what this leaker is saying turns out to be true, Modern Warfare 2 could be one of the craziest Call of Duty games of all time, especially the campaign. According to insider RalphValve, the campaign will be influenced by the United States’ controversial “War on Drugs” and will have some similarities to movies such as “Sicario,” “Traffic,” and “No Country for Old Men.” While the theme is already one audiences could very well fall in love with, the gameplay, realism, and brutality could be on a whole other level. ⁃ Reported as ‘gritty, and unrelenting’ – many of the words associated with what’s on paper as, ‘grim’, ‘gruesome’ and ‘brave’ — Ralph (@RalphsValve) October 28, 2021 MW2 to feature “realistic gore” and death animations RalphValve states that the game will have unique death animations where characters may not die immediately depending on where they’re shot. “Contingent on the calibre of bullet, combatants will lose limbs — often remaining conscious, squirming and screaming,” the insider claimed. “They’ll also put pressure on wounds in an attempt to stop the bleeding.” “They’ll beg for their lives, insult you, call out for their mother, hallucinate, gurgle/ moan/ groan/ death rattle, convulsions,” the leaker further added. This then leads into a Red Dead Redemption-style “Moral Compass” system where the player’s actions will impact the story. ⁃ Realistic gore: contingent on the calibre of bullet, combatants will lose limbs – often remaining conscious, squirming and screaming. They’ll also put pressure on wounds in an attempt to stop the bleeding. — Ralph (@RalphsValve) October 28, 2021 Modern Warfare 2 realistic gameplay revealed “During high-intensity moments, your character will react accordingly. There will also supposedly be a new weapon jam animation, which will cause the operator to jerk the bolt to expend the wasted bullet. Further, there will reportedly be new complexity to clearing rooms with the player able to request assistance. In the first mission of the game, TF141 and members of the domestic military are tasted with infiltrating a safe house belonging to a drug lord. been tasked with infiltrating what’s assumed to be a safe house cell holding information on drug lord, ‘—’, of an international crime syndicate based in Ciudad Juarez, dismantling the upper echelon of the organisation. As always, take all this information with a grain of salt, as Call of Duty Vanguard isn’t even released yet, but the 2022 CoD installment could be legendary if these details are accurate.

CoD leaker reveals major multiplayer details for 2022’s Modern Warfare II – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals major multiplayer details for 2022’s Modern Warfare II ActivisionA reputable Call of Duty leaker has unveiled a host of details relating to CoD 2022’s multiplayer, giving us our first ideas of what Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II will really look like. Despite the relative newness of Call of Duty: Vanguard, many CoD fans are already turning their attention forward to the series’ 2022 installment, which has now been confirmed as a Modern Warfare 2019 sequel developed by Infinity Ward. Details on the new title are scarce – as expected roughly eight months before launch. However, all reports surrounding the game are largely positive, with many claiming it is set to be one of the strongest CoD games ever released. New details relating to its multiplayer have now been revealed, courtesy of reputable CoD leaker TheMW2Ghost. While past leaks do not guarantee the veracity of these new details, the insider has been behind a number of accurate leaks in the past, relating to both annual installments and Warzone. Firstly, they dropped a host of information pertaining to multiplayer maps, claiming that it will be most similar to the DLC maps that accompanied Modern Warfare 2019 – maps like Khandor Hideout, Petrov Oil Rig, and Hovec Sawmill. They claimed many maps will follow a “brighter aesthetic” and that “map design is led with the concept of retaining the traditional Call of Duty experience while staying true to the Infinity Ward flare.” Finally, some maps did have doors on them (a controversial mechanic in recent CoD titles), but this is a feature that could change prior to the game’s launch. The leaker also gave some indications of how the game itself will feel, suggesting that movement is slightly quicker than MW 2019, but not as fast as this year’s Vanguard. Combat Pacing is also set to return. They also stated that current builds of the game feature classic killstreaks – UAV and Chopper Gunner – and a classic minimap. In comments that will only increase players’ anticipation, they summarized: “[The] game is looking remarkably polished considering it’s only February… I am genuinely positive for MW II this year.” Game is looking remarkably polished considering it’s only February. I am guilty of hyping up last years CoD and then not playing it a month or so after release. That stops. I will say tho, I am genuinely positive for MW II this year. I’ll die on this hill. Screenshot away. — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) February 18, 2022 While every Call of Duty game receives the ‘hype treatment’ prior to its launch, there is something tangibly different about MWII, with all who’ve seen it repeating how well-developed it appears. Only time will tell if those hopes are borne out.

CoD leaker reveals Cold War SBMM will return in Vanguard multiplayer – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals Cold War SBMM will return in Vanguard multiplayer ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard has officially been revealed to the world and fans have been digging for more details about the game. The multiplayer is set to launch with 20 maps but a CoD leaker has revealed that it will feature Cold War’s controversial SBMM system. Players have been itching to find out more and more information about the next CoD title with some slick pickings already available like the amount of maps and weapons that we’ll get our hands on. With a scheduled release date of November 5, players are desperate to see what the WWII-themed game will have in store for them. However, one of the community’s least favorite features from Black Ops Cold War is set to return to multiplayer in Vanguard, and it’s safe to say fans are not thrilled. SBMM returning to CoD Vanguard multiplayer There has been a hit debate for quite some time over skill-based matchmaking. The majority of the community leans toward the side of not having it as it allows for more casual play. Known CoD leaker ‘TheMW2Ghost’ delivered some bad news to the multiplayer community, SBMM is staying around for Vanguard. Not only is SBMM returning, but the leak also states: “It’ll be the same as it is in Cold War.” The Cold War system has often been criticized for matching high-ranking and winning players in lobbies that descend into a CDL scrimmage, which isn’t what everyone wants. I’m shocked at how many replies I get and see asking if SBMM is going to be in #Vanguard. I get that not everyone spends a lot of time on social media channel and don’t follow all the news. So, YES. It’ll be in the game and it’ll be the same as it is in Cold War. — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) August 21, 2021 The community did not take this news lightly as plenty of players replied with their disappointment in Sledgehammer Games. Well that changes things. Gutted I was hella excited for this game. — Joshuu_NZ (@Joshuu_NZ) August 21, 2021 Lots of people in the CoD community believe that SBMM is not necessary for casual matches. They argue that there are competitive modes such as League Play that should include opponents of equal skill. While this hasn’t been officially confirmed by the devs, CoD fans should expect this unpopular feature to be around for at least another year. For all the latest news about the new game check out our Vanguard hub.

CoD leaker reveals Black Ops Cold War Zombies maps, weapons & perks – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals Black Ops Cold War Zombies maps, weapons & perks TreyarchReputable Call of Duty leaker and YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has shared a significant leak regarding Zombies mode in the upcoming Black Ops Cold War. Details about Black Ops Cold War are piling up fast, with the Open Alpha giving fans their first proper look at how the multiplayer will feel, play, and look. One mode that will be returning in Treyarch’s 2020 title is Zombies. The undead mode was omitted in favor of Spec Ops in 2019’s Modern Warfare but has grown to be a mainstay of Treyarch’s games. In a September 21 YouTube video, reputable leaker TheGamingRevolution shed more light on the immensely popular Zombies mode, which first featured way back in 2008’s World at War. Black Ops Cold War Zombies maps A remake of Nacht der Untoten looks set to return, albeit set in the Cold War rather than World War II. However, new portions of the map will be made open to players, expanding on the fairly small environment players were given in World at War. In Black Ops Cold War, there will be two variants of Nacht der Untoten. One will be the remade, slightly larger version, while another looks set to be a basic remake, focused purely on survival. A third map has also surfaced, named Firebase Z. This will apparently be set in the Vietnam jungle, and will be a bonus map, but still available at launch. This is, according to current leaks and data, the final map that will be available when the game drops on November 13. The fourth map, which TGR claims will be released post-launch, will be set in Berlin. Details are very scarce, with some information suggesting it could be an expanded remake of Kino der Toten, from the original Black Ops. An expanded remake of Der Riese, and a new version of Dead Ops Arcade are also rumored to be in the game. The fate of TranZit remains unclear, despite past leaks claiming it will return in Call of Duty 2020. Away from maps, rumors state that perks will return, including Deadshot, Stamin-Up, Juggernog, Speed Cola and the new Elemental Pop. Specialist weapons, while not returning in normal multiplayer, are apparently set to return in Zombies. These will help you take down the new ‘boss’ zombies that Treyarch are apparently including. In terms of other weapons, the regular Ray Gun looks set to return, but a ‘Ray Rifle’ has also been found in the game files. Details beyond the name are unclear, but this will undoubtedly cause excitement. Finally, different game modes within Zombies are apparently available. Some will apparently have multiple possible endings, while basic Survival modes will also be playable. It goes without saying that, despite past leaks being accurate, these details are subject to change. Treyarch could redirect their development plans, or omit aspects based on internal feedback. We’ll have to wait for official word from the CoD developers, but there’s certainly enough information for fans to get excited about.

CoD leaker reveals 5 weapons coming in Season 1 of MW3 – Dexerto
CoD leaker reveals 5 weapons coming in Season 1 of MW3 ActivisionCoD players are turning their attention to the future of MW3, as a handful of leaks point towards possible Season 1 content. The launch of 2019’s Modern Warfare marked a significant change to the FPS’ post-launch support, as Activision and the developers shifted towards a seasonal model. Each season would boast a different theme, new weapons, skins, and more content for fans to chew on across the title’s slew of modes. One key feature of the seasonal content was the “mid-season” refresh, a way of injecting some life into the current season at its midpoint. MW3 will employ this same strategy of content flow, and leakers may have possibly discovered what the first season will bring. CoD leaker says five weapons will come in MW3’s first season of content Twitter/X user el_bobberto has been well-known for leaking CoD information. They previously leaked that CoD 2025 will be “Treyarch’s MW3,” and they’ve also leaked that Season 3 of MW3 will bring back weapons from Advanced Warfare, the title made by Sledgehammer Games. Despite always joking with the community their leaking days are behind them, el_bobberto’s back for more. This time, they’ve shared that five guns will launch in Season 1 of MW3, although they remain unsure of what the fifth weapon is. Should el_bobberto be true, three weapons will launch with the season start, most likely in the battlepass. At the midway point, two more will join, which will likely be unlocked via in-game challenges. Provided these leaks are accurate, fans should expect these weapons to join the large armory in early December when the preseason for MW3 ends. However, as with any leaks and rumors, these claims may not be true, so take them with a grain of salt. MW3 launches November 10, be sure to keep up to date with all of our coverage.

CoD leaker provides update on MW2 Multiplayer Remastered – Dexerto
CoD leaker provides update on MW2 Multiplayer Remastered Infinity WardCall of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has provided another update on the rumored multiplayer remaster of Modern Warfare 2, which would go some way to explain Activision’s tight-lipped approach. Rumors of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have swirled since about 2018, with the game’s iconic campaign finally being re-released to players on March 31. It has since become clear that the remastered story was ready for over a year, but Activision were waiting for the right time to drop it. Since then, players have been clamoring for a remaster of MW2’s multiplayer, considered by many to be one of Call of Duty’s best ever. However, despite the obvious demand from the community, Activision have previously explained why they don’t want to release a remaster of MW2’s multiplayer. Their main reason was the inevitable split of the player base. CoD leaker gives MW2 update Despite the comments Activision made, TheGamingRevolution, a prominent Call of Duty leaker (who correctly leaked both Gunfight and Warzone in Modern Warfare), has maintained that a MW2 multiplayer remaster is in the works. In an April 15 YouTube video, he expanded on his past statements. “I have heard some recent information,” he started. “That apparently a reason as to why it hasn’t released yet is because the game is apparently very different to the original Modern Warfare 2 and they’ve changed a lot of things, and they don’t think the community will like it.” “So they don’t know if they’re ever going to release it,” he continued. “I have heard that they are still testing it out so I’m assuming they are still changing things. I feel like it is still going to be coming out at some point, I just really do not know when. It really wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not until a year from now.” Read More: When is Modern Warfare Season 4? – TGR then put a caveat message on the screen, saying that there is a possibility we will see it this year, it just depends on the development decisions made by Activision and the specific companies that were behind the remaster. The video then moves away from the topic of MW2 Remastered and focuses on a leaked Classic Ghost Skin, potentially coming to 2019’s Modern Warfare and Warzone. The news is not necessarily what fans will want to hear, but it will certainly foster excitement simply through the insistence that MW2 Remastered multiplayer is actually in development. Despite TGR’s claims, they remain unconfirmed until Activision or a CoD development studio makes an official announcement. However, he does have a reputation as a fairly trustworthy leaker, having correctly predicted both Warzone and Gunfight in the past. Over to you, Activision.

CoD leaker gives promising update on Modern Warfare 2019 sequel – Dexerto
CoD leaker gives promising update on Modern Warfare 2019 sequel ActivisionReputable Call of Duty leaker ‘TheMW2Ghost’ has shared a promising update on Infinity Ward’s CoD 2022, thought to be a follow-up to 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot. With Black Ops Cold War’s life-cycle coming towards its end, many fans of the FPS series are casting their minds forwards to CoD 2021, thought to be called Vanguard, set in WWII and developed by Sledgehammer Games. However, some fans are thinking a year in advance of that, and what is next to come from Infinity Ward, who last developed 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot. Although not confirmed, CoD 2022 is thought to be a follow-up to that game and will be called something along the lines of Modern Warfare II (we’re thinking it too). These leaks come by way of TheMW2Ghost on Twitter, a well-known CoD leaker who has, in the past, correctly revealed calling cards and Black Ops Cold War seasonal content. On August 7, he tweeted: “Got a little info on MW II today, apparently Infinity Ward are feeling very good about the game, development is further ahead than projected with still over a year to finish. Should be in a good state once it’s time to release.” Got a little info on MW II today, apparently Infinity award are feeling very good about the game, development is farther ahead than projected w/ still over a year to finish Should be in a good state once it’s time to release. — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) August 7, 2021 Recent criticism of CoDs – including BOCW – has suggested that games are released unfinished and with insufficient content. League Play, for example, only came to Cold War in February. In a follow-up tweet, the leaker stated that Infinity Ward are working on fixing aspects of MW that were unpopular. Despite a moderately positive response, criticism of the 2019 title focused on multiplayer maps and lacklustre spawns. This is one of the things I was told some time ago, that they really did change a lot of the things that was hated about MW19 — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) August 7, 2021 Whether Infinity Ward are able to capitalize on MW’s success and add a strong sequel remains to be seen, but early signs suggest the development process is going well. With Vanguard in the more immediate future, CoD fans have a lot to get excited about.

CoD leaker debunks theories over new Warzone map – Dexerto
CoD leaker debunks theories over new Warzone map ActivisionA renowned Call of Duty leaker has debunked theories that Warzone will be getting a new map for Modern Warfare Season 4 after rife speculation that a leaked video suggested players will be moving away from Verdansk in the near future. In the video, which is believed to be leaked from files under the name of “season 4,” the map of Verdansk pans out and slowly reveals Urzikstan on the map, with some believing that Verdansk was essentially going to get nuked and play switched to the newly-discovered location. Now, though, it seems that may not be the case at all, and the footage may be completely unrelated to Warzone. As explained in popular leaker TheGamingRevolution’s newest YouTube upload, the clip isn’t really a leaked file at all, and has been in the game the entire time – hidden within Special Ops. The cutscene actually speaks about the spread of terrorists across Verdansk, who apparently intend on working their way across the land and taking Urzikstan, too. As TGR explains, the Verdansk map has been in development for a year, as an amalgamation of every area of the Spec Ops maps and missions, so to nuke it after just a couple of months would be a surprise decision to say the least. TheGamingRevolution goes on to explain that he doesn’t expect a new map for quite a while – at least until the release of the next Call of Duty game in late 2020, where he suggests that Warzone might get a new, Cold War-themed map. Watch: World Record Holders’ Tips for Warzone Wins Of course, there’s no way to tell when exactly Activision will drop Warzone players into new surroundings until they themselves announce it, but if you’ve got your hopes up for a new map in Season 4, you might want to lower your expectations. Despite that, Infinity Ward did confirm that new areas of the map will be opening with Season 4, so be prepared for a slight map change, albeit not quite as drastic as an entirely new one.

CoD leaker claims Verdansk will “never return” after Warzone Nuke event – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Verdansk will “never return” after Warzone Nuke event ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker has claimed that Verdansk will never return to Warzone after the impending nuke event, not even as a limited-time mode map. For quite some time, Warzone players have been asking for a new map – or at least massive changes to Verdansk, just to help freshen things up a bit. Rebirth Island was added following the integration with Black Ops Cold War, but some fans have been left disappointed by it – given it’s not exactly the main map like Verdansk is. Changes have been made to Verdansk recently, with a shipwreck bringing Zombies to the southeast part of the map. However, it looks like the Warzone map will be no more following the impending Nuke event. Multiple Warzone leakers claimed that the map would be destroyed on March 11, making way for a new map set in the Ural Mountains. Though, those claims were dismissed by a report stating the change is coming in April. However, when the map ultimately changes, Verdansk is apparently never to return – according to Tom ‘Long Sensation’ Henderson. “The current plan for Warzone is that Verdansk will never return. There’s no separate playlist, map voting, or anything like that. Warzone is Warzone and Warzone is 1 map. Warzone will continue to change its map as the story progresses,” the YouTuber and gaming leaker tweeted. When I heard this, I immediately thought that a time machine or portal could be added to the story to have us return to Verdansk in a year or two… But this is just my speculation. More on this at a later date. — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) March 6, 2021

CoD leaker claims Vanguard will launch with 20 multiplayer maps – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Vanguard will launch with 20 multiplayer maps ActivisionReputable Call of Duty leaker ‘Okami13_’ has claimed that Call of Duty 2021, called Vanguard and developed by Sledgehammer Games, will be launching with a whopping 20 multiplayer maps. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War seeing its life cycle coming to an end, fans of Activision’s FPS series are turning their attention to the next annual installment. It is to be called Call of Duty: Vanguard, set in WWII and developed by Sledgehammer Games. It’s not yet clear how much of a sequel it will be to 2017’s WWII, but we should get more of an idea as the details pile up. Rumors have surfaced that Vanguard is set to launch with a whopping 20 multiplayer maps at launch. That will be significantly more than any of the last few CoDs, all of which were criticized to some degree for their lack of content at launch. Leaker ‘Okami13_‘ revealed the news on August 13, tweeting: “I’m told COD Vanguard will feature 20 maps at launch. – 16 standard 6v6 maps. – 4 “Special Maps” Subject to change, but if true it’s definitely a step up from the previous few entries.” I’m told COD Vanguard will feature 20 maps at launch. – 16 standard 6v6 maps. – 4 “”Special Maps””Subject to change, but if true it’s definitely a step up from the previous few entries. pic.twitter.com/l9cKHDzJSj — KAMI (@Okami13_) August 13, 2021 Okami has been a well-known CoD leaker for some time now, correctly predicting that CoD 2020 would be titled ‘Black Ops Cold War’. However, previous correct leaks do not guarantee the veracity of these rumors, at least until they are confirmed by either Activision or Sledgehammer Games. Eyebrows were also raised by the “special maps” suggestion. It could hint at the return of Operations, or a large-scale battle like Cold War’s Fireteam Dirty Bomb. It would certainly be a big change for the Call of Duty series. Recent launches have seen games release with relatively few maps, followed by fairly regular content drops that bring new maps to the game Black Ops Cold War Season Five, for example, brought four new maps to the game. Fans appeared split between skeptical and excited over the new rumors. We’d encourage caution at this early point, especially if some of the maps turn out like Gustav Cannon.

CoD leaker claims to reveal more details on MW2 multiplayer remaster – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims to reveal more details on MW2 multiplayer remaster ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker claims to have revealed even more details about the hotly-anticipated Modern Warfare 2 remaster that is allegedly in production. Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most highly regarded games in the Call of Duty franchise, and fans have been clamoring for a remaster for years, despite the fact that the game only released originally in 2009. With Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare being remastered in 2016 alongside the release of Infinite Warfare, rumors heated up over when MW2 would get its own next-gen version, and now a reliable leaker has revealed more on the possibility of MW2R. After previously revealing details on Warzone and Gunfight ahead of their official announcements, Okami13 revealed on Twitter that while a remaster is in the works, it “won’t be a direct remaster of the multiplayer.” This will be incredibly disappointing to players who have been waiting for more news, though Okami did soften the blow slightly. He added: “Instead, they’re taking the maps and adding them to MW 2019 so as to not split the community again.” Although Okami does have a reliable track record with his Call of Duty leaks on Warzone and Gunfight, it must be reitarated that this information is not confirmed. https://twitter.com/Okami13_/status/1242824585311109120 The premise is certainly an interesting one, especially if they plan on bringing all Modern Warfare 2 maps to the current title, but it would be odd to see some of those classic maps in a completely different game. The biggest thing that players will take away from this, though, is that the latest developments suggest Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer won’t be getting a full remaster. A few days prior to Okami’s tweet, a South Korean rating agency leaked a classification for Modern Warfare 2, but it was only for the campaign, with no mention of multiplayer or Special Ops included. Of course, there won’t be any way to verify this until an official announcement is made – if one is made at all. If there is no Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, there will never be any confirmation of the rumors, but it’s very possible that the regular flow of information is coming from a place of authority; we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

CoD leaker claims small Resurgence-style map coming to Warzone 2 in 2023 – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims small Resurgence-style map coming to Warzone 2 in 2023 ActivisionAccording to a reliable Call of Duty leaker, Warzone 2 will be getting its own small, Resurgence-style map mid-2023, approximately 6 months after the game releases. The Resurgence mode has become incredibly popular in Warzone, especially due to the maps it is played on being significantly smaller than the likes of Verdansk and Caldera. Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep have become beloved by players looking to be constantly in the thick of the action, much easier to respawn back into the game and rack up more kills and engagements than in Caldera. In fact, they’ve become so popular now that there are huge communities for each map that won’t even touch Caldera or regular battle royale — and those players are going to be very disappointed with this news. According to TheGhostOfHope, “Infinity Ward are planning to release a Resurgence style map sometime midway through 2023” for Warzone 2. This means that players will likely only be able to play the main BR map at launch, when the game comes out on the reported date of November 16. Interestingly, TheGhostOfHope also suggested that a whole new battle royale map will arrive in late 2023, around one year after Warzone 2 officially releases. This would be a move away from the individual game integrations of the current Warzone, which saw minor tweaks before Vanguard brought Caldera to Warzone Pacific. With Caldera receiving a very mixed reception throughout its lifespan, Infinity Ward will be hoping to hit it out of the park with the launch map of Warzone 2, and hopefully recreate the same magic as Verdansk.

CoD leaker claims Shipment & Sub Pens returning in Vanguard remasters – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Shipment & Sub Pens returning in Vanguard remasters ActivisionCall of Duty classic maps Shipment and Sub Pens could be remastered and brought to Vanguard, according to a leak. With the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta underway, fans are getting their chance to try out the game for the very first time. In the beta, developer Sledgehammer Games have already fixed a major visual glitch, smoothing out the experience for participants. Now more info is dropping for what maps are making it into Vanguard, as a leaker has revealed that two older maps could be returning in Vanguard, both of which are beloved by long-time CoD players. Classic maps may return Leaker Tom Henderson, who has become a reliable leaker in Call of Duty, says the two classic maps from past Call of Duty titles are Sub Pens and Shipment. The source of the leak comes from data miners who found the names of the maps while digging around in the PC beta files. Sub Pens was a map from Map Pack 2 in Call of Duty: World at War, and Shipment comes from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The map Shipment has been remastered in the past as it was brought to CoD Mobile in Season 2, as well as featuring in MW2019 and reimagined in both Ghosts and World War II. It is one of the more popular maps in Call of Duty history as a close-quarters map that sparks a ton of action right from the start of each match. Sub Pens and Shipment are also coming to #Vanguard as remastered maps pic.twitter.com/0rRu44Yokb — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) September 17, 2021 These leaks aren’t official just yet, but with the release date of Vanguard not too far off, we may find out sooner rather than later if they are true.

Modern Warfare leak claims Battle Pass is only for battle royale – Dexerto
Modern Warfare leak claims Battle Pass is only for battle royale Infinity WardPopular CoD leaker and YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has made another claim about the shape Modern Warfare will take on its October 25 release, this time giving details about the ‘Battle Pass’. TheGamingRevolution is one of the CoD community’s most vocal leakers, regularly sharing details of what his Activision “sources” state. He has been correct in a number of his previous predictions, including the 2v2 Gunfight mode that is coming at release with Modern Warfare. His most recent predictions focus on post-launch and the form the ‘Battle Pass’ will take in Modern Warfare. Black Ops 4 saw a move away from the typical ‘Season Pass’ structure, in favor of a ‘Black Ops Pass’ and more regular operations, emulating the style of games such as Fortnite. On October 13, TGR tweeted that Modern Warfare’s Battle Pass will actually only available for the, as yet unconfirmed, battle royale mode. Despite the fact that Modern Warfare’s battle royale is far from official, leaks and rumors point to the separate mode coming in early 2020, a few months after the full game’s release. “Once Battle Royale releases, those items (the ones in the battle pass) will be available in supply drops, but not until then,” he said. “The Battle Pass may come to multiplayer too but it’s not at the moment.” *SO BIG CHANGE* The Battlepass is only available for Battle Royale in Modern Warfare. Once Battle Royale releases, those items will be available in supply drops, but not until then. The Battle Pass may come to multiplayer too but it’s not at the moment. — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) October 13, 2019 He then clarified his tweet, explaining that this is not a recent decision, but that this developmental decision has been part of the plan for a while now. “Sorry, this wasn’t something recent. It’s apparently been this way for ages now,” he explained. He claims that he sent one of his “sources” a draft of his video to ensure his leaks were accurate, and the source then clarified that the battle pass is not even complete yet – because it is not coming until battle royale does. ”shit, I forgot to tell you, I thought I did for some reason”. The Battle Pass isn’t even complete yet because it will be coming with Battle Royale. — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) October 13, 2019 Responses to the alleged leak were mixed, with some joking that publisher Activision will soon be charging players to get access to a generic battle pass. Read More: Scump confirms OpTic Gaming departure – Others, however, were not too bothered, arguing that Black Ops 4’s ‘battle pass’ was a failure and that its absence in Modern Warfare will simply allow Infinity Ward to focus on other aspects of the game. The news is, of course, unconfirmed and cannot be verified, and will remain so until launch – unless Infinity Ward break their silence on the matter.

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered won’t have multiplayer – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered won’t have multiplayer Activision/Infinity WardCall of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has given fans an update on the possibility of having Modern Warfare 3 Remastered – and it looks like it could be similar to Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is going strong and has given fans a ‘soft reboot’ of the franchise’s hugely popular sub-series, CoD fans are still wanting more – especially from popular titles of the past. Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, which had been rumored for quite some time, finally dropped for PlayStation owners on March 31, though the iconic multiplayer side of things isn’t there. Yet, Call of Duty fans could soon see another remastered title on the way in the form of Modern Warfare 3 Remastered. Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution revealed that the remastered title has been in the works for quite some time now, though, like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, he “understands” that it would be campaign only. “I have no idea if they’ve even started on Modern Warfare 3 Remastered multiplayer, like they did with Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, or if they’ve only worked on the campaign,” the YouTuber said in his April 16 upload. “But likewise to Modern Warfare 2, it has been pretty much finished for quite some time.” TheGamingRevolution noted that previous leaks and rumors have claimed that Sony wanted all of the previous Modern Warfare titles, campaigns at least, to be remastered prior to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare so that fans were up to date. However, he claims this was put on hold for one reason or another. The YouTuber also noted that in the museum part of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, there are a number of concept art paintings that are described as being part of the ‘Remastered’ collection, which could be easter eggs hinting at MW3. Despite releasing on March 31, it is widely believed that MW2’s remastered campaign was developed a couple of years ago, when hints first started dropping that it was in the works. However, TGR doesn’t know when fans can expect to be playing MW3’s remastered campaign but, considering it is supposedly finished, we’ll just have to wait and see what Activision chooses to do.

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is “waiting” for release despite Activision denials – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is “waiting” for release despite Activision denials ActivisionFresh Call of Duty leaks claim that Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is just “waiting to be released”, despite previous denials from Activision that such a game exists. Remastering old games has long been a hot topic in the Call of Duty community, especially since Modern Warfare Remastered dropped with Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare 2’s reskinned campaign dropped in 2020. As a result, nostalgic CoD fans have questioned whether a remastered version of 2011’s Modern Warfare 3 could follow. Rumors have swirled since 2021, with leakers claiming that the remaster has been developed. However, Activision have since denied such a game is being worked on, telling CharlieIntel back in August 2021 that “a remaster of Modern Warfare 3, campaign or multiplayer, does not exist.” The entire saga has taken another twist, though. CoD leaker claims MW3 Remastered “isn’t cancelled” On September 2, reputable Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope, who has previously published information about 2022’s Modern Warfare II correctly, claimed that an Activision source has told them MW3 Remastered does exist and is actually completed. The leaker said: “When I asked a source whether or not MW3 Campaign Remastered might ever see the light of day they had the following to say: “MW3 Campaign Remastered isn’t cancelled like previously reported. It is complete & is just sitting there waiting for the right time to be released.”” It’s worth noting that the leaks, despite Hope’s previous track record, directly contradict Activision’s official line. Whether Activision have changed their tune since the August 2021 denial is another matter, but Hope seems convinced that MW3’s much-loved Campaign has been remastered and is merely awaiting a green light to launch. As the leaker also pointed out, Activision have previously denied rumors of previous remasters (like MW2), only to drop them at a later date. It will remain unclear whether a MW3 Remaster exists until it’s officially confirmed by Activision but, with the new leaks claiming it is merely waiting for launch, fan excitement will only go one way.

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is “getting worked on” – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is “getting worked on” Infinity WardAs leaks continue to surface regarding Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, it seems like the third title in the franchise is also being developed – and has been, for some time. Prominent Call of Duty leaker ‘TheGamingRevolution’ took to Twitter to confirm that Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is in development. “MW3 Remastered has been getting worked on for a while now too,” he revealed. That said, he has no idea when the title will be dropping. “I wonder how/when that’s going to drop,” he added, suggesting that he has no idea if the game will come out during the lifespan of the current CoD title. It’s also unclear if this will just be the campaign or a multiplayer experience. As Dexerto has previously reported, artwork and cosmetics pertaining to MW2 were found within Modern Warfare’s files by dataminers. That said, while the leak was only for a campaign, it seems like some classic maps will be given an upgrade for rotation in the newest Modern Warfare title. https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevo2/status/1243508080857321473 The original Modern Warfare games boasted one of the strongest campaigns in FPS history, with the sequel best known for its infamous “No Russian” mission, while the third was renowned for its Michael Bay-styled action set pieces. Back in 2016, Activision published a Remastered version of the original Modern Warfare. That title included the campaign alongside the multiplayer, and had a physical release. It’s possible that MW 3 Remastered is packaged in the next Call of Duty game as DLC – but at this point, we may need to see how the MW 2 Remaster is handled first. Speaking of which, another prominent leaker, ‘Okami’ has claimed that we won’t have to wait long for more information on that subject. According to them, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is releasing on March 30. For now, all fans can do is to wait and see.

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered is “definitely” coming in 2021 – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered is “definitely” coming in 2021 ActivisionNew Call of Duty leaks suggest that Modern Warfare 3’s campaign will be remastered and released in 2021. It is also thought to be dropping as a PS5 exclusive, at least initially. Many CoD fans will remember the clamor in the community for a full remaster of Modern Warfare 2, for many their favorite installment of all time. We did get a remastered Modern Warfare 2 Campaign but, despite the wishes of many, no multiplayer remaster ever came to light. There have been reports that MW2’s multiplayer has been remastered – just not released. While the calls for MW3 Remastered have not been as sustained, it’s fair to assume many would like a re-skinned and updated version of the 2011 title. It looks like they’ll finally be getting their way, at least if the latest rumors are to be believed. These leaks come by way of TheMW2Ghost on Twitter, a user who has in the past provided accurate leaks regarding calling cards and in-game events. On May 1, he tweeted that Modern Warfare 3 Campaign will be coming in 2021, most likely as a PlayStation exclusive to begin with. Read More: Best weapons to use in Warzone Season 3 – “Was told that MW3 Campaign remastered is definitely coming this year,” they said, “and should be coming Q2 which is the original plan, one month exclusive to PlayStation.” A follow-up tweet provided more clarity on the matter, explaining: “It was originally set for Q2 of this year under a deal with PlayStation, but not sure if that’s still the case. Apparently it’s definitely still coming at some point this year”. Worded this a bit weird So, it was originally set for Q2 of this year under a deal with PlayStation, but not sure if that’s still the case (date). Apparently it’s definitely still coming at some point this year — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) May 2, 2021 Quarter two of 2021 would encompass anywhere from March to the end of May, so it appears that the game may have been delayed slightly. What the leaker is clear on though, is that the game will “definitely” be dropping at some point this year. Unfortunately, it appears to be another Campaign-only remaster, so fans of MW3’s multiplayer won’t be getting a re-skinned version of that just yet. Despite the accuracy of TheMW2Ghost’s past leaks, there are no guarantees over any MW3 Remastered titles, at least until Activision confirms it through official channels.

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 2’s campaign will feel like Red Dead 2 – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 2’s campaign will feel like Red Dead 2 Activision / Rockstar GamesCall of Duty leaks are already coming out for CoD 2022: a rumored sequel to Modern Warfare 2019, named Modern Warfare 2. And a new intriguing report suggests that the game’s campaign could feel like Red Dead Redemption 2. While CoD hasn’t always been the most realistic game around, it has toed the line between arcade shooter and true military simulator. And it seems that 2022’s rumored Modern Warfare II will follow in the steps of 2021’s Vanguard — with relentless realism. Vanguard, set in World War 2, is expected to be a brutal, gory experience that reflects the realities of warfare. Pushing past that foundation, new leaks claim the 2022 iteration of Modern Warfare II will take that realism a step further. In Red Dead 2, the morality of players’ actions affects how the story progresses and how they are treated. A newly cited leaker, ‘RalphsValve,’ claims this sort of system is coming to CoD in MW2 2022’s campaign. Modern Warfare 2 set to feature morality system like Red Dead 2 ⁃ Introduction of ‘Moral Compass’ system, analogous to Red Dead Redemption 2’s ‘Honour System’ – where certain decisions, will dictate and impact several moments within the Campaign. — Ralph (@RalphsValve) October 28, 2021 As explained by Ralph, MW2’s campaign will have a “‘Moral Compass’ system, analogous to Red Dead Redemption 2’s ‘Honor System.’” This, in combination with the game’s rumored emphasis on realism, would make every choice made in the campaign feel more impactful. With Ralph’s thread covering ‘convulsive’ death animations and ‘squirming’ gore, a brutal picture is painted for the next CoD title’s environment. Red Dead 2 is universally beloved for its campaign, making it a likely exciting source of inspiration for story mechanics. Of course, nothing is confirmed at the moment and all leaks are entirely speculative. Vanguard releases on November 5, so you can be sure that Modern Warfare 2 won’t be ready for a while. The current rumors are interesting, though. If CoD wants to lend gravity to the campaign, then working with a morality system like Red Dead 2’s would be an intriguing way to do so. We’ll most definitely be keeping an eye out to see if more information becomes available (or, eventually, confirmed).

CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 2 remastered will have multiplayer – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Modern Warfare 2 remastered will have multiplayer ActivisionCall of Duty leaked TheGamingRevolution has claimed that Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer is still in the works and set for release, despite Activision statements to the contrary. Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been going strong and offered a soft reboot on the hugely popular CoD series, plenty of fans have been hoping to see more still from the franchise’s roots. There are maps in CoD: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer from Call of Duty 4, and the recent release of Modern Warfare 2’s remastered campaign has stirred the nostalgia further – but fans are hoping for more, especially in the form of a full-blown throwback multiplayer experience. There have been rumors that, as well as the campaign, Modern Warfare 2 remastered would also have the game’s iconic multiplayer attached as well. Though, that hasn’t been the case. Activision’s blog claimed that they aren’t planning to release the full-blown mutiplayer but, instead, work in some maps. Yet, TheGamingRevolution claims that isn’t the case. The reliable CoD leaker claimed that the mode is very much in the works and, according to his sources, is being playtested. The YouTuber also added that he reckoned that the release of Modern Warfare 2’s remastered campaign was a test to see the response to its release. https://twitter.com/TheGamingRevo2/status/1245567989182857216 In his latest video, the YouTuber even had a Twitter user send him a conversation between themselves and Activision support, with the support team member saying that Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer would be releasing. In the recording, the Activision support team member said that, though the plans hadn’t been released, to their knowledge, Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer was going to be arriving at some point. Of course, despite the conversation with Activision support, TheGamingRevolution noted that these employees don’t always have the inside information and answer questions to the best of their ability. Timestamp for mobile readers of 5:20 Yet, with his source claiming that Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer is, indeed, in the works, the YouTuber believes it will be coming out. As for when that release would be, however, the reliable leaker couldn’t offer up any further insight, so we’ll just have to wait and see if he is correct once again.

CoD leaker claims footballers Messi, Neymar & more will be Modern Warfare 2 Operators – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims footballers Messi, Neymar & more will be Modern Warfare 2 Operators Activision/EA SPORTSA renowned Call of Duty leaker has suggested that some of the world’s greatest footballers could arrive in Modern Warfare 2, with names such as Messi and Neymar listed as potential Operators in the upcoming title. Call of Duty is always finding new ways to break ground, make things fresh, and put itself ahead of the competition. While this often comes in the form of new features in their games, new technology, or changing up how things work, you can’t argue that any CoD game is the same as the last. They also get ahead, however, through their marketing techniques, with game trailers earning millions of views and getting some of the biggest names across all industries involved. They’ve had big collaborations in the past, with cosmetics focused around Rambo, Scream, Die Hard, and more, as well as trailers including celebrities ranging from Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby to Pete Davidson and Jack Harlow. It looks like they’re going big on the sports front with Modern Warfare 2, however, if these leaks are accurate. Leaker TheGhostOfHope has posted a list of Operator names to Twitter, with the likes of Roze, Reyes, and Connor joined by notable football names Messi, Neymar, and Pogba It’s unclear why exactly these names are included, but it seems unlikely that they’re simply new Operator names, given how huge they are in the football world. Naturally, many fans have responded asking where the likes of Ronaldo and Haaland are on the list, but until developers Infinity Ward either comment on it, or Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28, it’s impossible to say why exactly this is the case, if the leaks turn out to be accurate.

CoD leaker claims fan-favorite Black Ops 2 maps coming in Cold War Season 5 – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims fan-favorite Black Ops 2 maps coming in Cold War Season 5 Treyarch/ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker has revealed that Treyarch has plans to add two fan-favorite Black Ops 2 maps to Cold War in Season 5. Black Ops Cold Season 4 brought a variety of new content to the game and had a huge impact on the meta. Whether it was the addition of the Hijacked & Collateral maps or the arrival of the Nail Gun and the MG82, Treyarch certainly didn’t disappoint in the major update. Despite this, Call of Duty fans has already shifted their attention to Season 5, speculating on what the developers have in store for them next. While players will always appreciate completely original content, new features inspired by previous CoD titles never fail to get the community excited. Well, according to a reliable Call of Duty leaker, Cold War players can expect a throwback to Black Ops 2 in the Season 5 update. CoD leaker hints Bo2 maps are arriving in Cold War Season 5 Very little is known of Treyarch’s plans for Cold War Season 5, but a leaker may have just revealed a huge feature scheduled for the major update. According to @TheMW2Ghost, the developers are planning on remastering Black Ops 2’s Yemen and Plaza. These maps were hugely popular back in 2012 and would certainly be welcomed by the Cold War community. “Should be seeing Yemen and/or Plaza for Season 5”. Although both Plaza and Yemen were fan-favorites back in the B02 days, the leak has spurred fans to ask why other iconic maps were not chosen instead. Even the TheMW2Ghost has called for Launch and Radiation to be added to Cold War, with other fans begging Treyarch to make room for Firing Range. I honestly cannot believe we haven’t seen Launch, and Radiation maps remade in Cold War tbh. They make more sense than almost all the the remakes we’ve seen thus far and they’re just super fitting. As well as being great maps — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) July 3, 2021 It’s worth noting that this leak should be taken with a pinch of salt and Treyarch’s plans could always change before the release of Season 5. While Yemen and Plaza isn’t everyone’s number one choice for a remaster, they’ll certainly be great additions to Cold War’s map pool. All we can do for now is wait for the major update to drop and hope the devs nail the maps, giving fans the nostalgia trip they’ve been waiting for.

CoD leaker claims Call of Duty 2020 will not be Black Ops reboot – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Call of Duty 2020 will not be Black Ops reboot TreyarchThe next Call of Duty title that’s expected to launch this fall will not be an official installment within the Black Ops series, according to new information from prominent leaker TheGamingRevolution. When it was announced back in May 2019 that Treyarch would be taking over the main development of CoD 2020 from Sledgehammer Games, many of the rumors and leaks that followed claimed the game would be yet another Black Ops title. Some claimed it would be Black Ops 5, while others believed it would be a reboot of the series and take place during the Cold War era in the 1960s. On April 20, well-known CoD leaker TheGamingRevolution published a video dispelling those theories, and claiming that the next game will not don the legendary Black Ops title. That’s not to say that it won’t be tied into the same universe, however, as TGR made it a point to note that it is expected to crossover with BO story in some way. In fact, while it’s apparently not going to be a reboot, CoD 2020 could still be set in the Cold War era with some of the focus around the Vietman War, which the original BO game also featured. Speaking in TGR’s video, another YouTuber named ‘dkdynamite’ mentioned that Sledgehammer Games had reportedly been working on a Vietnam-themed CoD game back in the early 2010s, a project that got shelved early on but apparently was being revisited in 2017 for a possible 2020 release. Despite the fact that Treyarch took over the 2020 game’s development, they could have kept what SHG had been working on and just built upon that, which would tie in with all the speculation that’s been going around. As for what the game’s title will be, that’s still very unclear. Dkdynamite explored the possibilities of it being called “Call of Duty: Vietnam” which wouldn’t be out of the question since there have been several CoD titles in the past that have been directly named after wars, most recently WWII in 2017. As always, this sort of information should be treated as nothing more than speculation until Activision and/or Treyarch officially announce the game. TheGamingRevolution has proven to be more reliable than most when it comes to Call of Duty leaks, and even CharlieINTEL said that some of these new details matched up with what they had learned about the upcoming title. Whatever it turns out to be, the game is expected to be released this fall with cross-generational support, meaning that it could be released on the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in addition to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. As always, make sure to follow us on Twitter @DexertoINTEL for the latest news, leaks, rumors, and more.

CoD leaker claims Black Ops reboot teaser discovered in Modern Warfare – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Black Ops reboot teaser discovered in Modern Warfare ActivisionReputable Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has claimed that there is a teaser for CoD 2020 – thought to be a Black Ops reboot of sorts – in this year’s title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Details surrounding CoD 2020 are beginning to force their way out, thanks to a number of leaks and unconfirmed reports. While Activision has not officially confirmed, CoD 2020 is thought to have been given to Treyarch as a result of issues at Sledgehammer Games, who were originally thought to be in charge. Recent leaks claim that Call of Duty 2020 will be a Black Ops reboot set in the Cold War, with a possible focus on Vietnam. These claims follow on from the original Kotaku report that the development circle had been changed up and handed control back to Treyarch. While none of these details have been confirmed, a first teaser for the next CoD title has allegedly been found in Modern Warfare. As TGR points out, teasing future instalments in the current title is nothing new. Infinite Warfare, for example, was teased in Black Ops 3, using the giant screens that surrounded the Nuk3town map. According to TGR, the teaser for next year’s CoD comes in the form of an unreleased, animated calling card in Modern Warfare. The calling card simply features the name ‘Treyarch’, and pulses a deep red. The red is aesthetically similar to a host of original Black Ops graphics, including the interrogation home screen. The calling card is currently unreleased, leading to speculation that it will be a pre-order bonus for CoD 2020. If this is not correct, many simply suggest it is part of the earliest marketing for Treyarch’s next installment. It should go without saying that these leaks are unconfirmed, and the calling card could simply be a tribute from Infinity Ward to their partner developers Treyarch. However, given the rumors surrounding CoD 2020, there is definite potential in the idea that it is hinting at the next Call of Duty title. TheGamingRevolution has been accurate in the past with a number of leaks, including Modern Warfare’s 2v2 Gunfight mode, and the recently released battle royale, Warzone. These do not necessarily mean he is correct when it comes to this particular calling card, but many fans are becoming increasingly excited as a result of the growing leaks.

CoD leaker claims Advanced Warfare 2 being developed by Sledgehammer Games – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims Advanced Warfare 2 being developed by Sledgehammer Games ActivisionA Call of Duty leaker has reported that Sledgehammer Games are set to develop Advanced Warfare 2, a direct sequel to their 2014 entry into the franchise, for the 2025 mainline CoD game. CharlieINTEL later denied development plans for the game. Sledgehammer Games have come under some scrutiny for their CoD efforts, with Advanced Warfare, World War II, and Vanguard all featuring big changes for the franchise. Advanced Warfare, in particular, has its fair share of fans and detractors for introducing jetpacks and advanced movement to the franchise. Some say it ruined Call of Duty while others have long called for jetpacks to return to the game. It seems as though the latter group is going to get their wish, too, as new leaks have suggested that with Vanguard now out of the way, Sledgehammer Games are turning their attention to creating Advanced Warfare 2. Coming from well-known CoD leaker RalphsValve, they report the developer is aiming to “usher back in an era of Advanced Warfare on the now unified IW 9.0 engine.” Ralph claims that Sledgehammer originally wanted to further explore the world they’ve built with Vanguard but, with Vanguard “falling short of expectations,” they brought Advanced Warfare back to the table. It’s unclear what this would mean for battle royale hit Warzone, which is expected to have a longer lifespan and should see through to this rumored title, which is apparently slated for a 2025 release. CharlieINTEL denies Advanced Warfare 2 development plans After the waves of rumors hinting at Advanced Warfare 2, CharlieINTEL reported, “I have heard that there is no Advanced Warfare 2 currently in development at Sledgehammer Games, despite the rumors today.” CharlieINTEL also mentioned uncertainty over Sledgehammer Game’s next project. All rumors must be taken with a pinch of salt, and we will provide an update once we have a better idea of CoD’s future development plans.

CoD leaker claims 12 new maps coming to Black Ops Cold War – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims 12 new maps coming to Black Ops Cold War ActivisonWith only a few months left until the rumored release of the next Call of Duty, fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the next title. But it seems that Activision and Treyarch has a lot more planned for Black Ops Cold War’s life cycle beyond its first year. It’s good news for fans of Black Ops Cold War, as Treyarch likely has plans to support the game beyond its first year. 12 new maps are rumored to be on the way, with the majority being post-season releases. Each season of Black Ops Cold War brings us a range of new maps to play, with the most recent additions to the map pool being classic Black Ops 2 maps Hijacked and Rush that arrived with Season 4. With Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War on the horizon, we can expect at least three maps coming to the game next season according to the usually reliable CoD leaker MW2 Ghost. “There are still about 12 maps designed for Cold War yet to come. Say 3 each for S5 and S6, then a bunch post-season” said the leaker on Twitter. With three expected to be released for Season 6 as well, that leaves six map releases for post-season, if the claims are correct. There is still about 12 maps designed for Cold War yet to come. Say 3 each for S5 and S5, then a bunch post season That’s a nice amount of maps. Pretty sure there may be a remake post-launch too. — MW2 OG (@TheMW2Ghost) August 1, 2021 What maps can we expect? In July, MW2 Ghost revealed that another two fan favorites from Black Ops 2, Yemen and Plaza would be arriving in Season 5. Following the praise that Treyarch received with the remake of Hijacked and Rush, it’s no surprise that the developers are going down the safe route with remaking some of the classic maps. Plaza and Yemen may not be the first picks for some veteran players, but they’re certainly fan favorites for a majority. Those that aren’t fans of the old maps were left asking why other fan favorites like Launch and Radiation weren’t picked instead. Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War is expected to kick off mid August, but we should hear more about the new maps arriving before the season release.

CoD leaker claims 11 studios are working on Modern Warfare II – including Treyarch – Dexerto
CoD leaker claims 11 studios are working on Modern Warfare II – including Treyarch ActivisionNew reports from Call of Duty leakers suggest that 11 development studios are working on CoD 2022 – expected to be a Modern Warfare 2019 sequel – including Treyarch. The Call of Duty development cycle has seen its flow disrupted to some extent in the past few years. While Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch and Infinity Ward typically produce annual titles as part of a three-year cycle, problems over Vanguard saw Treyarch called into release Black Ops Cold War at late notice, despite developing Black Ops 4 just a couple of years prior. While confirmation of a Modern Warfare sequel has not yet come from Activision, all leaks and rumors point to a sequel to the 2019 title, set amidst a war with Colombian drug cartels. Now, new details have emerged about the development team for Modern Warfare II, with reputable CoD leakers claiming 11 studios in total are working on the 2022 title, including long-time CoD developers Treyarch. Infinity Ward, as is customary with CoD development cycles, are expected to be the lead studio. On January 27, leaker RalphsValve stated that there are 11 studios working on Modern Warfare II’s development: Demonware; High Moon Studios; Toys for Bob; Infinity Ward Austin, TX; Infinity Ward Poland; Infinity Ward, LA; Beenox; Activision; Raven Software; Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch. With regards Treyarch’s involvement, Ralph said it was a case of “all hands on deck”. Just heard that Treyarch are also helping out, “all hands are on deck” — Ralph (@RalphsValve) January 29, 2022 Some were concerned that Treyarch’s involvement was a signal of a poor development state, but Ralph allayed those concerns by saying: “Circumstances are different; it was earlier described to me as a “once-in-a-generation” title – hence why essentially every Activision Studio are assisting the games development. Things are moving smoothly.” His claims were corroborated by Tom Henderson, who has leaked multiple details regarding to Warzone and CoD 2022. Circumstances are different; it was earlier described to me as a “once-in-a-generation” title – hence why essentially every Activision Studio are assisting the games development. Things are moving smoothly — Ralph (@RalphsValve) January 29, 2022 As ever, plenty can change in the development process so details about CoD 2022 should be taken with a pinch of salt until Activision officially confirm them. All signs, though, point to a monumental title coming later this year and an unprecedented level of cooperation between CoD developers. Players will be hoping that translates to a game of unprecedented quality.

CoD leak unearths MW3 ‘parkour’ map putting players in a race to the top – Dexerto
CoD leak unearths MW3 ‘parkour’ map putting players in a race to the top ActivisionA CoD leak has unearthed an MW3 ‘parkour’ map, pitting players in a foot race to the top, seemingly as a limited-time mode to celebrate 420 Day. Sledgehammer is certainly having fun with the upcoming 420 Day event in CoD, as Season 3 has given us a taste of what is to come, with Snoop Dogg, Cheech and Chong, and a plethora of Marijuana references littered throughout the update. And in a new leak, a new parkour map seemingly part of the 4/20 event has been found in which players are pitted against one another in a race to the summit. Initially found by prominent leaker BobNetworkUK on Twitter, they posted a one-minute video of them going through the course, named “G3T_H1GH”, of which is clearly inspired by the aesthetic of 80s neon synth-wave. BobNetworkUK would go on to post a full 10-minute gameplay of the map in which we get to see what players can expect from the limited-time mode, which is filled with movement-based obstacles with some target shooting in between. Supposedly the goal of the map is to pit players against each other to race to the top. As for why it’s part of the upcoming 4/20 event, it becomes obvious when you hear Cheech and Chong’s voice at the start of the level, and the fact they were popular during the 80s. So to all the movement kids out there, the upcoming G3T_H1GH game mode might be your time to shine.

CoD tease Snoop Dogg skin for Vanguard, Warzone, & Mobile – Dexerto
CoD tease Snoop Dogg skin for Vanguard, Warzone, & Mobile Activision / Twitch: Snoop DoggAs players wait for Season 2 Reloaded of Vanguard and Warzone, Call of Duty have teased that famous rapper and culture icon Snoop Dogg is allegedly coming as an Operator Skin to Vanguard, Warzone, and Mobile. With Season 2 Reloaded coming up soon, the community is hyped for all the changes that are coming to both Vanguard and Warzone. While we still wait for an Roadmap to be revealed, leaks have been pouring out showing some new content that could be coming. This includes changes to Rebirth Island and some new operator skins. Now, fans are getting their first tease at a new operator that is joining the battlefield, and it’s someone that everyone knows a thing or two about. Snoop Dogg skin coming to Vanguard, Warzone & Mobile Previously, leakers had hinted at the possibility of Snoop Dogg coming back to the Call of Duty franchise, and on March 18 Activision all but confirmed it. https://twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1504865975434457095 They posted a short clip with some “Dogg Tags” that had two dates on them. The first tag read “Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone 04/19/22” while the other read “Call of Duty: Mobile /04/01/22” hinting at an April release. If you were to add these dates up then you will get to April 20, which is certainly an important date for Snoop Dogg. At this time, we still haven’t received an official look at how Snoop will look in the FPS. CoD Snoop Dogg Operator leak According to multiple reliable leakers on Feburary 10, Snoop Dogg will be a playable character in both Vanguard, Warzone and CoD Mobile. https://twitter.com/ZestyLeaks/status/1492569910676914178 In the picture tweeted by ZestyLeaks, you can see that the rapper is dressed up in a WWII-themed outfit and is holding what appears to be a MP-40. This wouldn’t be the first time that Snoop is featured in Call of Duty. Back in Ghosts, players could purchase his voice to replace the battle announcer. Some leakers initially thought that this was going to be another edition of that but it seems that has changed. In a Tweet on February 10, known leaker TheGhostofHope confirmed that Snoop Dogg being added to the files was actually to be an operator himself. They didn’t confirm or deny if his voice lines would be added soon, so we’ll have to wait for an official reveal.

Call of Duty League website leaks franchise team names including FaZe – Dexerto
Call of Duty League website leaks franchise team names including FaZe With the franchised Call of Duty League teams, though some players have already been announced and branding starting to be leaked. It appears, though, that the Call of Duty League itself has accidentally let slip some of the team names, thanks to some details found in the website’s coding, as spotted by multiple users on social media after the website launched. It didn’t take long for the names to start coming out, and it seems as if they’ve all but confirmed at least four of the franchise names that have been held so tightly under wraps. A simple search on the website’s coding brings us to names for the franchises, some with the city they represent and some without. Though a couple of these names had already been theorized by Twitter users, this is the first time any suggestions have come up pointing towards the Chicago and Seattle locations, which are bound to create a lot of fanfare. I just found “”London Royal Ravens”” in the code for the website. pic.twitter.com/recJoT9Mhj — Adam Fitch (@byadamfitch) October 9, 2019 Another Twitter user then found what appears to be all of the team names but without their associated cities – though some conclusions can be drawn. Here is some more source code info. Appears to be team names without the associated cities. pic.twitter.com/ZWYw7sh685 — Hagan McPhail (@texissippi) October 9, 2019 Though nothing is final, the leaked team names are as follows: Seattle Surge – Chicago Huntsman – FaZe Atlanta – Minnesota Rokkr – Dallas Empire – Los Angeles Guerrillas – Paris Legion – London Royal Ravens – Los Angeles OpTic – Florida Mutineers – New York Subliners – Toronto Ultra – Some fans even went as far as to find the exact colors the teams will be playing in when the CDL rolls around. Whether these names are definitely the final product remains to be seen, but it certainly seems to be that way. With most teams expected to announce their official branding soon, fans may not have to wait long to see whether these names are final. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on October 25, with the Call of Duty League expected to kick off in early 2020.

Call of Duty League announce Home/Away format and Open Circuit It has officially been announced that the franchised Call of Duty League will have a Home and Away format for its opening season in 2020, as well as an Open circuit for amateur teams to compete in. With the announcement of franchising, many rumors have been afloat of the league moving to a Home/Away format, with teams traveling to their opponent’s respective cities to play against each other. All teams in the league will host two home series events during the regular season. Home Series events feature multiple teams in the league competing across two days, including the host city team. It was also revealed that all host cities have the option to host additional events at their Home Series, including amateur open bracket competition: in this case, Call of Duty Challengers is the official path to professional competition for amateur teams. Call of Duty Challengers will follow the same rules as professional competition with over $1 million in prizing offered for amateur competitions across online and LAN events. The first online tournament is scheduled to begin November 9, just two weeks after the release date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. As well as the Call of Duty League and Call of Duty Challengers, Activision are bringing another level of competition to CoD esports: the Call of Duty City Circuit. The Call of Duty City Circuit launches later in 2020 and is designed to take casual competition to the next level by giving fans a chance to compete on behalf of Call of Duty League teams. Fans sign up as duos to compete in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 “Gunfight” matches for a chance to win prizes and compete at a major Call of Duty League event. The inclusion of Home and Away matches also gives fans of every franchise team the opportunity to watch their team face off against the most elite competition in the world.

CoD legend Karma unleashes Tactical Nuke in first Modern Warfare game – Dexerto
CoD legend Karma unleashes Tactical Nuke in first Modern Warfare game Infinity Ward / Scuf Gaming YouTubeCall of Duty legend Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow popped off in his first Modern Warfare Beta in an explosive way by launching a Tactical Nuke. Infinity Ward released the early access for the Modern Warfare Beta on September 12, and players have been diving in to see what the next iteration of the epic franchise has in store for them. But those who pre-ordered the game probably weren’t expecting to see a Tactical Nuke launched in the first hours of the beta being opened. But most games don’t have three-time World Champion Karma loaded up in the server. During his stream, Karma was still tinkering with options and the map’s layout to get a good handle on the brand new game. After a few quick deaths to start up the Headquarters on Azhir Cave, the longtime pro started getting into the groove of the game. (Timestamp at 8:49 for mobile viewers. Warning: Loud hype volume) Karma was slowly starting to ramp up his killstreaks, earning a UAV, a Cruise Missile and a Chopper Gunner. Though some of the rewards like the Cruise Missile confused the seasoned player. Holed up in the caves on the map, the enemy team kept funneling into the caverns making them easy prey for the veteran pro. Karma quickly racked up 15 kills for his strong defense to the waves of incoming attackers. With the help of eight kills coming from his Chopper, Karma was well on his way to the 30-kill reward. Most players start to feel the pressure of mounting kill streaks around here, but Karma navigated the map and won multiple 1v1’s that threatened his chance to get the coveted Tac Nuke. After a few more simple engages back inside the caves on the map, he finally got the notification that all players strive to read: “Tactical Nuke – Ready for activation.” He instantly popped off his chair after ending the blowout Headquarters match with a blaze. He ended the game with a 160-17 lead and had a 7.8 K/D Ratio with 55 kills and seven deaths. Karma has been a beast on previous Call of Duty games, and it looks like he’s going to continue that trend when Modern Warfare officially releases on October 25.

CoD insider reveals Warzone 2 swimming mechanic and early map layout – Dexerto
CoD insider reveals Warzone 2 swimming mechanic and early map layout ActivisionRenowned Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson has revealed new information on Warzone 2, hinting at the battle royale sequel’s map layout and that it will feature a swimming mechanic at long last. Warzone 2, despite not having a confirmed release date, is already highly anticipated amongst the CoD community. The continuation of Warzone’s issues – most notably cheating and egregious bugs – have prompted many to cast their minds forwards to its successor, which has now been confirmed by Activision and Infinity Ward. Allegedly set in Medellin, Colombia, it will tie into the campaign of 2022’s annual installment Modern Warfare II and recent information claims will feature POIs from across the series’ history. New information comes by way of Tom Henderson, a CoD leaker who has revealed details on Warzone and annual installments in the past. In a May 21 tweet, he gave players an early glimpse of Warzone 2’s map layout, corroborating information that various fan-favorite POIs will return. However, he also claimed that a swimming mechanic will be a core part of Warzone 2, with a coastal region meaning there is plenty of sea to explore. Blackout, the BR that dropped with Black Ops 4, featured a swimming mechanic so, while new for Warzone and Infinity Ward, it wouldn’t constitute a first for the series. It’s time for a bourbon me thinks. pic.twitter.com/2Ne52DH7QN — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) May 21, 2022 He also hinted at the layout of the new map, with Airport in the east, Quarry in the northwest, and Caves and Modern City situated centrally. Naturally, Henderson’s good track record does not guarantee the accuracy of these leaks. They will remain unconfirmed until Activision or Infinity Ward officially reveal Warzone 2. However, plenty of fans will find their excitement increasing as we approach the reveal of Modern Warfare II and, most likely, details about Warzone 2 as well. They also liked the subtle dig at Vanguard, being used in Henderson’s image as a coaster. Here’s hoping Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II find more favor with the player base.

CoD insider reveals reason complete MW2 Remastered multiplayer was scrapped – Dexerto
CoD insider reveals reason complete MW2 Remastered multiplayer was scrapped ActivisionWell-renowned Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has explained what may have happened with the heavily-rumored Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer — and it won’t make for happy reading from veteran CoD players. Modern Warfare 2 remains, to this day, one of the most popular games in the history of the storied franchise. First released in 2009, it managed to usurp CoD 4: Modern Warfare and revolutionize the FPS genre, almost unanimously agreed upon as one of the greatest in its genre. For years, there have been rumors of a remastered version of the game, and Activision even released an updated version of the campaign in 2020, but the multiplayer portion of the game remained stuck on old-gen consoles — despite, apparently. the devs’ plans to recreate it. According to popular leaker Tom Henderson, the Infinity Ward devs were already putting in the groundwork to bring out MW2 Remastered alongside MW2019, but it wasn’t to be. He explained: “Yes, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer was in development, and the reason why it was cut from actually happening is because Infinity Ward and Activision didn’t want Modern Warfare either to overshadow MW2019 — as it was intended to release alongside it — or vice versa.” Timestamp 5:10 All is not lost, though, with Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. The CoD 2022 release — reportedly also called Modern Warfare 2 — may have a number of assets from the MW2R that was in development. “A lot of the assets that were already created for MW2R will now be coming over to Modern Warfare 2 2022. Some of the stuff, like the original maps, will be coming over to MW2 (2022), and some other different aspects.” So while MW2 Remastered looks unlikely to arrive any time soon, players will be able to get their fix of the classic game in CoD’s 2022 release if these leaks turn out to be true.

COD insider reports new Warzone 2 map is coming in Season 4 – Dexerto
COD insider reports new Warzone 2 map is coming in Season 4 ActivisionCharlieIntel confirmed a start date for Warzone 2 Season 4 and reported it will include a new Resurgence map. Warzone 2 is currently home to two maps. The battle royale sequel launched with Al Mazrah, a desert landscape littered with POIs inspired by previous COD titles. And then, in Season 2 Ashika Island entered the fold as the game’s first Resurgence map. In April, prominent CoD leakers ‘TaskForceLeak’ revealed that the next Warzone 2 environment is called Vondel, a Resurgence map set in the Netherlands. Rumors intensified on May 10 as a leak unveiled the first image of the new urban setting. The final missing piece of the puzzle is a reported release date for the new battle royale map. Vondel reportedly coming to Warzone 2 in Season 4 On May 31, CharlieIntel reported: “Season 04 begins June 14th and will include the new Warzone map Vondel, which is set in the Netherlands and is developed by Beenox, per sources.” Vondel will launch with Resurgence support, but CharlieIntel also claimed: “Vondel should also have support for Battle Royale mode at some point after its launch, per sources.” On top of that, the COD insider also expects Vondel to support DMZ at some point. This would be the first time in Warzone history with a rotation of two standard battle royale maps. Canadian video game developer, Beenox first became involved with the COD franchise in 2015 with Black Ops 3. The studio then assisted Raven Software with the development of Modern Warfare Remastered. As for battle royale titles, Beenox is working on Warzone Mobile. The studio also created an updated version of Rebirth Island and was the lead developer for the Battle of Verdansk event. CharlieIntel expects Season 4 to start on June 14, which lines up with the MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Battle Pass.

CoD insider drops info on Modern Warfare 2 release date & big Warzone update – Dexerto
CoD insider drops info on Modern Warfare 2 release date & big Warzone update ActivisionThe next Call of Duty game in 2022 could end up releasing a bit earlier than expected according to an established leaker in the scene. Call of Duty: Vanguard has hardly been a hit with players. Bugs, controversial updates post-launch and a stale return to World War 2 have upset many hungry for a great new entry in the series. Now, as a result of Vanguard’s poor performance and mediocre sales, we could end up seeing the release of the next entry, a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot, come out slightly earlier. Plus, to make the launch of the new game even more special, Activision could have something major planned for Warzone to coincide with MW2. Leaker claims Modern Warfare 2 could release in October Even though Call of Duty Vanguard released in November, Modern Warfare 2 could end up coming up in October, according to insider Tom Henderson. “As expected, it’s looking like this year’s Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare II (2022), will be revealed in the summer,” he said on Twitter. “Hearing rumblings that the title could release in October due to Vanguard’s poor sales performance.” While October isn’t exactly too far off from November, it does show that Activision would want the next game out sooner than later and move away from Vanguard in favor of better entry. Othe CoD titles have released in October before, including Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare 2019. As expected, it’s looking like this year’s Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare II (2022), will be revealed in the summer. Hearing rumblings that the title could release in October due to Vanguard’s poor sales performance, with a “”big”” Warzone update coming soon after. pic.twitter.com/3x8Qw2Eryp — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) January 13, 2022 Henderson went on to add that a “big” Warzone update would be coming soon after MW2’s release, but didn’t offer up any additional information. As always, until we hear confirmation take this info with a grain of salt, but considering Henderson’s track record, it seems like we could be looking at some big news in the CoD front this summer.

COD insider confirms fan-favorite map won’t return for Warzone 2 – Dexerto
COD insider confirms fan-favorite map won’t return for Warzone 2 ActivisionCharlieIntel reported that the beloved Resurgence map Rebirth Island is making a return, but not in the fashion that some Warzone 2 fans would have hoped. When Warzone 2 launched in November, Infinity Ward controversially removed Rebirth Island. This wasn’t the first time a beloved map saw its time cut short. Caldera replaced Verdansk during COD: Vanguard and fans have been begging for its return since. Activision heard the complaints and confirmed Verdansk as the marquee map for the upcoming battle royal game Warzone Mobile. It wasn’t exactly what players had hoped for, but it ramped up excitement nonetheless. Then, on May 19, a datamine uncovered references to Rebirth Island in the files of Modern Warfare 2. Community members hoped it would be different from Verdansk but, unfortunately, it appears the map’s receiving the same treatment. Rebirth Island is not coming to Warzone 2 On May 24, during the Update Requires Restart Podcast, CharlieIntel confirmed: “Rebirth Island is coming to Warzone Mobile, not Warzone 2.” Community members didn’t take the news well. Even though COD Mobile boasts a very impressive player base, players couldn’t wrap their heads around why the developers would release two iconic maps on mobile over console and PC. “I know mobile got a big audience, but that’s trash, in my opinion,” argued a Warzone fan. A second user added: “If they can bring back Verdansk and rebirth for mobile, there [are] zero excuses not to bring it console and pc again.” As for when players can finally get their hands on Warzone Mobile, there may still be a long wait ahead. On May 9, CharlieIntel reported: “Warzone Mobile’s release date on the App Store has changed from Expected May 15, 2023, to now Expected Nov 1, 2023.” We will provide an update when we learn more about the fate of Rebirth Island and its future in Warzone.

CoD insider claims MW2 devs interested in Ghost spinoff campaign – Dexerto
CoD insider claims MW2 devs interested in Ghost spinoff campaign ActivisionSimon ‘Ghost’ Riley has been a hit for Infinity Ward ever since his introduction to the franchise and now it appears the studio may be interested in giving him his own MW2 spinoff. Ghost’s history in Call of Duty is an expansive one. First debuting back in Modern Warfare 2 (2009), the masked marauder has kept fans intrigued with both his iconic appearance and one-of-a-kind attitude for more than a decade. His spotlight has only grown bigger since the release of the newest game, and it seems like Infinity Ward could be ready to strike while the iron is hot, offering the prequel story many have hoped for since he walked in as a member of the original Task Force 141. Ghost could be getting a spinoff campaign after MW2 The report comes from insider RalphsValve who claims that the IW development team has been interested in this idea since before the game’s release and that now could be the time it becomes more than just an idea. “In conversation with an associate, Modern Warfare 2’s sophomore DLC expansion will expand the Campaign’s story with an intimate, episodic look behind Call of Duty’s more established characters, factions, and new blood,” they said. “Infinity Ward’s approach to single-player content for 2023 was likened to Supermassive Games’ ‘The Dark Pictures anthological series.” As suggested above, if this does happen, it could be as part of the Year Two continuation of MW2. There’s still no word on what that’s officially going to look like but it surely won’t be long before Activision begins to clue fans in on the next leg of their journey. In the meantime, any excited players will just have to settle for replays of Modern Warfare 2’s campaign if they want to fill the Ghost-sized void in their hearts.

CoD hackers reveal how Warzone cheats helped them ‘break’ the Vanguard code – Dexerto
CoD hackers reveal how Warzone cheats helped them ‘break’ the Vanguard code ActivisionCall of Duty’s most prominent hackers are only getting more efficient at ‘breaking’ each new annual title and it appears their experience with Warzone was a key factor behind their quick entry into the Vanguard Beta. The Vanguard Beta first went live across all platforms on September 16. Within just 48 hours, the first reports of hackers already began to surface. “How are there cheaters already?” players questioned as aimbots ruined matches the same day the Beta went public. Before long, these affordable cheats were so busted, players had the ability to outright end matches at their volition. But how exactly did they break through Vanguard so rapidly? It turns out previous experience with Modern Warfare and Warzone cheats helped a great deal. “The core of the [CoD] engine hasn’t changed much during the life of the franchise,” an anonymous source in the gaming industry told Vice. Much of the same code that makes up Warzone, for instance, is similar to the code found in Vanguard, the source explained. As a result, “porting” exploits from one title to another “has always been easy.” This proved to be the case during Vanguard’s Beta test as hackers flooded into the early access build. Not only did they provide cheaters with typical in-game buffs like aimbot and wallhacks, but they ramped things up in all-new ways just because they could. The Beta was set live with the same anti-cheat as Warzone, CoD insider Tom Henderson claimed. So, it didn’t take long for hackers to run rampant. It’s already happening in Vanguard 🤦♂️ (Via @bennylongstroke) pic.twitter.com/4w3FjTi0hD — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) September 18, 2021 Having developed CoD hacks for “over 15 years,” IWantCheats is one such provider that appears to have a knack for the annual cycle. This site is already promising their Vanguard exploits will surpass what we’ve seen in Warzone. Not only that, but their cheats will allegedly also work on the new Pacific map; a claim we can only verify once Activision gives the lowdown on its highly anticipated anticheat system set to debut later this year. If all goes according to plan, an effective anticheat system could nip these concerns in the bud. The Vanguard Beta could very well be the final instance of hackers having their way with CoD lobbies. Though if early claims from some of the biggest cheat providers hold true, their exploits might just find a way through to tarnish the multiplayer experience once again. We’ll just have to wait and see who comes out on top once the next round gets underway with the launch of Vanguard on November 5.

CoD hacker accidentally shows cheats on stream, loses match and gets banned anyway – Dexerto
CoD hacker accidentally shows cheats on stream, loses match and gets banned anyway ActivisionA Call of Duty streamer was banned by GameBattles after exposing his cheats on stream in a round he hilariously ended up losing. Hackers are never any fun to deal with in competitive games. Whether it’s wallhacks or aimbots, cheaters ruin the integrity of the competition. Luckily, sometimes they end up getting their just desserts. During a May 3rd tournament, streamer BBluring was competing on Demyansk trying to hunt down his remaining opponent. After getting the call from his teammate to go in, BBluring gave chase, but ended up turning on his wallhacks in the process for all his viewers to see. GB player “”BBluring”” is currently streaming his wallhacks. @Abs7lute @TacticalRab @JakeSucky pic.twitter.com/eGMlGo2PDh — Connor Toomey (@Connor2me_) May 3, 2022 CoD wallhacker activates cheats and dies With a red rectangle indicating where the remaining foe was, BBluring chased his target around a corner and tried to take him out using his pistol. Despite facing a cheater, the opposing player swiftly turned around and killed BBluring to secure the round. “Why did I try shooting at him with my pistol, bro?” the cheater asked. “I just didn’t expect him to be there.” Of course, with the wallhacks, he knew exactly where his opponent would be and the cheats remained active for more of the match. Footage from the stream uploaded to YouTube showed BBluring’s cheats activated in later rounds. Despite the unfair advantage, his team still lost 6-5 and they were not happy about it. Hey Connor. The team has been forfeited in the tournament in question & the player has been permanently banned from GameBattles. Thanks for letting us know! — GameBattles Support (@GameBattlesHelp) May 3, 2022 Once footage of the cheats spread, GameBattles stepped in to explain how the hacker had been permanently banned: “The team has been forfeited in the tournament in question & the player has been permanently banned from GameBattles. Thanks for letting us know!” BBluring deleted his Twitch channel, file900, and has yet to address the situation. In any case, it’s one less cheater plaguing tournaments and a victory for law-abiding CoD players everywhere.

CoD stars FormaL and Loony embarrass fellow pro players with insane 2v15 clutch – Dexerto
CoD stars FormaL and Loony embarrass fellow pro players with insane 2v15 clutch Call of Duty pro players Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper and Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza showed off what locking in and playing off of one another can accomplish with an insane Control hold against insurmountable odds. Black Ops 4’s Control puts two teams, one as the attacker and one as the defender, vying for position on two capture points on the map. However, both sides only have 30 respawns per round, which could make for a messy situation if one team goes on a killing spree. That’s the position that the 2017 World Championship MVP FormaL and CoD veteran Loony found themselves in during a game against the likes of other pros that inhabit the Black Ops 4 competitive scene. FormaL and Loony against the world Going up against a team composed of UYU’s Nicholas ‘Classic’ DiCostanzo, Splyce’s Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda, Midnight’s Bradley ‘Frosty’ Bergstrom, Team Envy’s Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo-Palmer and LG’s Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno, it seemed like a 15v2 would be a routine close out. But the two defenders capitalized off of players’ mistakes while expertly maneuvering through the suffocating spaces around Zone A on Seaside. A surge of offensive prowess from Loony saw him pushing the line against the incoming opponents while being backed up from FormaL’s Lightning Strike streak. Best offense is an insane defense But FormaL also had to bunker down on the opponents that snaked their way onto the point, having to masterfully blend patience to heal and reposition with pin-point aim to come out on top engagement after engagement. In fact, the combo of Loony’s unpredictable aggression and FormaL’s lockdown defense quickly shifted the odds as it only took around 30 seconds to drain the opponent’s advantage from 15 respawns to only four. Though ammo management started to become an issue for FormaL since he only had 11 bullets, that didn’t do him much when Temp surprised him from behind the van on the side of the church. Down to a 1v3, Loony caught one for a quick trade while doubling back to nab the person who just killed FormaL. From there it took just a bit of trickery, as Loony turned around once again to come at A from the van opening, which caught the last person alive off-guard making in church. The whole sequence was nothing short of spectacular and the people in the server knew it too, as they all expressed their disbelief at what they just saw go down.

CoD fans want “garbage” Prestige system replaced with the classic in Modern Warfare 2 – Dexerto
CoD fans want “garbage” Prestige system replaced with the classic in Modern Warfare 2 ActivisionHopes are high that Modern Warfare 2 will be a return to form for the Call of Duty series, and fans feel that bringing back the original Prestige system would make the new game more rewarding straight off the bat. Modern Warfare 2 is set to arrive later this year and players can’t wait to see how Infinity Ward shakes up the series. After the lukewarm reception to Vanguard, the community is expecting the follow-up to the 2019 reboot to set things right. While Modern Warfare 2 is a completely new game and the title alone, which carries so much weight among fans, has people hoping that this year’s game will feel more like classic Call of Duty. We’ve already heard that a number of iconic maps from the 2009 MW will arrive, but players have picked out another feature they want to see – the original Prestige system. CoD fans hope Modern Warfare 2 brings back old-school Prestige system Users on the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit spotted a Steam listing that seemed to confirm that players will be able to Prestige once again in this year’s game. It’s hardly surprising given that it’s a feature that has been around in the series for almost 15 years, but the way it works has changed slightly in that time. Originally, after its debut in CoD 4, players could Prestige when they reached the maximum rank. This reset their level and unlocks, essentially allowing them to start from scratch in exchange for a new badge to highlight how many times they had reached the top. Since Warzone arrived and the yearly CoD games became integrated into the battle royale, the system has been revamped. After the initial 55 ranks, leveling becomes tied to the in-game season, resetting back to one with each new update. With Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon, fans are clearly hoping that Infinity Ward will revert back to the old system. “I hope prestige isn’t tied to [a] season, that version of prestige is garbage. Just let us do it old school to 1000 max prestige and stop resetting crap over and over again,” said one player. “Came to say this. The seasonal reset is a terrible way to retain players. I miss the OG MW2 system,” responded another. The general feeling seemed to be that dropping everyone’s rank at the beginning of the new season makes leveling feel less meaningful and takes the fun out of chasing higher ranks. “They thought I’d log in and think ‘oh s**t I gotta hit max level before the season ends,’ when really it made me play less because now rank means nothing,” argued a disgruntled player. “I was more inclined to maybe log on and play when I wouldn’t otherwise have if I saw my friends ‘catching’ me in prestige.” We’ll have to wait and see how Infinity Ward decides to implement the Prestige system in Modern Warfare 2, but the community has spoken and they want to see a return to the series’ roots.

CoD fans left stunned after mobile clone blatantly rips off Modern Warfare – Dexerto
CoD fans left stunned after mobile clone blatantly rips off Modern Warfare Activision / Alfa Bravo Inc.A new Call of Duty clone has appeared on handheld devices as Combat Master has been called out for being a blatant mobile “rip-off” of 2019’s Modern Warfare. There’s no denying the success of Activision’s Modern Warfare release in 2019. Alongside Warzone, it helped drive billions of revenue throughout the year and reportedly has a sequel in the works already. Not only that but Infinity Ward’s hit release also appears to have heavily inspired this year’s Battlefield. Taking that inspiration one step further, however, is a new mobile game by the name of ‘Combat Master Online FPS’. This handheld release doesn’t just take from Modern Warfare, either: it essentially is Modern Warfare. From gameplay systems to menu design and everything in between, the new release has left CoD fans in shock due to just how similar it actually is. There’s a new game just released which is a straight up call of duty modern warfare rip off… And it looks crazy good 👀 pic.twitter.com/PgtiOfOPxv — ImOw (@ImOwFromYT) October 24, 2021 Combat Master is described as “the ultimate FPS experience on your mobile,” according to the developers at Alfa Bravo Inc. Outside of the existing CoD Mobile app, Combat Master offers the closest thing to a handheld CoD experience. Though perhaps, a little too close. “There’s a new game just released which is a straight-up Modern Warfare rip-off,” content creator ‘ImOW’ said on October 24. Operator skins and their rarities, UI elements, animations, and the FPS gameplay itself are all exact copies from 2019’s Modern Warfare. Down to the lobby screens and a clone of the Gunsmith, just about every aspect of Combat Master seems to have taken after the CoD title. “Made by true enthusiasts with special love for firearms and gaming community,” the developers added in the game’s description. Combat Master is currently available on the Google Play store in select regions. Despite claiming the game is free of “lootboxes and money-pulling mechanics,” microtransactions are present and range from $19.99 – $39.99 per item. There’s no telling if Activision will soon strike down on these blatant similarities between Combat Master and Modern Warfare. Though the mobile gaming space isn’t exactly new to clones of other popular titles. COD fans “speechless” after Activision shuts down mod sm2 – Dexerto
COD fans “speechless” after Activision shuts down mod sm2 sm2Activision shocked the Call of Duty community by sending a cease and desist to the Sm2 developers, canceling the game. In 2021, a group of developers started an ambitious project to create the “dream Call of Duty game.” Titled sm2, the free-to-play mod used the Modern Warfare 2019 engine and included a long list of familiar features. The devs said they planned to include over 100 weapons on release, 24 perks, a progression system, and more. One year into development, the sm2 team revealed a 40-plus-minute video showing off all of the weapons in the game. FPS community members praised the showcase and got nostalgic seeing classic guns back in action. Unfortunately, for those looking forward to the game, Activision stepped in before the project ever saw the light of day. sm2 shuts down operations permanently On May 17, the sm2 developers stated: “Today, a team member received a Cease & Desist letter on behalf of Activision Publishing in relation to the sm² project.” “We are complying with this order and shutting down all operations permanently. Thank you all for your support over the past 2 years.” Community members couldn’t wrap their heads around why Activision waited so long to shut down the project. COD content creator NerosCinema responded: “They could have pulled this years ago but didn’t instead they let these hardworking devs work for 2 years, then shut them down.” Warzone streamer DougDagnabbit asked: “Why, after all this time is SM2 getting a cease and desist now? Something seems weird with this story.” Call of Duty YouTuber M3RKMUS1C mourned the loss by adding: “Our hopes and dreams for a Call of Duty game that has all of the best guns, maps, and features is unfortunately dead.” While not surprising, community members couldn’t help but feel disappointed after learning the news.

CoD fans revolt after leak claims Last Stand will return in Modern Warfare 2 – Dexerto
CoD fans revolt after leak claims Last Stand will return in Modern Warfare 2 ActivisionThe Last Stand Perk has always been one of the most controversial features in the CoD series, and fans have expressed their anger after a leak hinted that it could return in Modern Warfare 2. The news that 2022’s Call of Duty will be Modern Warfare 2 understandably has many players incredibly hyped. The 2009 original is one of the most beloved entries in the series, and there are plenty of features and maps that the community would love to see make a comeback. Leaks have already hinted at the likes of Terminal and Favela being available in multiplayer, as well as welcome changes to SBMM to make it far more lenient than it has been in recent entries. However, the recent reports that the controversial Last Stand Perk will be making a return in Modern Warfare 2 have been far less well-received, and players have made it abundantly clear that they do not want to see it in 2022. Last Stand is a Perk that sees players drop to the floor and pull out their pistol, rather than dying immediately, to score some last-minute kills. It hasn’t featured in CoD multiplayer since the original Modern Warfare 2, but has shown up in the campaign and Zombies modes. It’s a feature that has caused plenty of frustration among the community, as it could lead to untimely deaths even if you win the first gunfight. This recent leak suggested that Last Stand would be present in Modern Warfare 2, only this time as a Field Upgrade rather than one of a player’s perk slots. Responding to a Tweet from Charlie INTEL asking if the feature should come back, CoD fans made it clear that Last Stand should stay in 2009, and that it was “removed for a reason” all those years ago. “Absolutely the f**k not,” replied Modern Warzone. “Might as well bring back Martyrdom and Juggernaut too while we’re at it.” Should the iconic Last Stand perk return in Call of Duty? pic.twitter.com/uw6YUoHoLy — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) March 14, 2022 Other replies argued that shootouts in Call of Duty already have too many variables, and Last Stand would only make matters worse. “No, I already have enough to worry about in a gunfight,” said hakenthe28th. “I do not need to pop a blood vessel over this.” Some even went as far as to say that it would spoil the multiplayer experience altogether. “MP is already in a decline. This would kill it,” said Psycho Raged. “This would literally ruin the entire game,” argued xwindwaker. There’s no denying that reintroducing Last Stand would change the dynamics of many gunfights, especially if it became the go-to Field Upgrade for most players. If the leaks about Last Stand featuring in Modern Warfare 2 are true, then it’s clear that the community, for the most part, feels it would make the game worse overall. Hopefully, Infinity Ward take the fanbase’s criticism on board.

CoD fans livid after Warzone 2 announced for last-gen consoles: “total fail” – Dexerto
CoD fans livid after Warzone 2 announced for last-gen consoles: “total fail” ActivisionAs Call of Duty fans get excited over Modern Warfare 2, Activision has confirmed that its battle royale spinoff Warzone will be released on last-gen consoles in addition to current ones, sparking backlash from the community. Since its launch, Warzone has been both one of the most exciting battle royales and one of the most controversial. Numerous bugs, cheating issues and balance debacles have plagued the game, but with Warzone 2 on the horizon, players have been hoping that the experience is refreshed, especially for console users. Sadly, on June 8, it was confirmed that Warzone 2 would be available on both last-gen (Xbox One and PS4) and current consoles and fans are not happy in the slightest. Starting October 28, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is scheduled for release on PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC https://t.co/4ntwYWGOgX, and PC Steam. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is scheduled for release later this year on the same platforms. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) June 8, 2022 Warzone 2 players furious over last-gen console release After news of the cross-gen release was announced, fans flocked to Reddit and other social media sites to discuss the news, blasting Activision for the decision. One of the biggest concerns from users is that the last-gen consoles would hold Warzone 2 back both graphically and from a gameplay perspective. “This whole ‘new era of COD’ is a marketing ploy,” one Redditor wrote. “The game won’t be able to do anything that an old generation console cannot handle. Pretty lame.” “Wish they can actually focus on what’s actually good for the franchise instead of trying to make every penny possible,” another Reddit user said. “This is the saddest f**king CoD news I’ve heard in a long time. Wow,” someone else chimed in, prompting agreement from other players. “Total fail already.” Of course, until players try the game for themselves, these are all early concerns, but it will be interesting to see if they end up being warranted once the battle royale sequel is released later this year. CoD fans livid after leak claims Black Ops 6 will be on last-gen consoles – Dexerto
CoD fans livid after leak claims Black Ops 6 will be on last-gen consoles ActivisionCall of Duty players hoping that the series would finally be focusing on the PS5 and Xbox Series X were in for a shock after seeing a leaked Black Ops 6 pre-order listing that included the PS4. Activision’s annual CoD releases are some of the biggest in the video game industry, but just like yearly sports games, the series can’t seem to abandon last-gen hardware. On Reddit, a user posted a screenshot of a GameStop SKU page with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 showing that it would be available on PS5, Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 4… All of which were listed at $69.99. “If it wasn’t obvious, BO6 will still be releasing on last-gen consoles, according to pre-order info from GameStop,” the user said. Needless to say, players were not pleased. As the rumor spread on social media, fans began to express their concerns, with many convinced that the decision to keep releasing the games on older hardware would only hinder the experience on newer, more powerful consoles. “Imagine the graphics being as bad like Black Ops 3 was on PS3. Good times,” one said. “Horrible, horrible idea. Last gen needs to be left behind. Should be current gen only,” insisted another. Gaming org SoaR also poked fun at the game by posting a pixelated blurry SpongeBob video with the caption, “Me and the boys playing Black Ops 6 on our PS4s.” Other users took issue with the supposed $69.99 price tag. One player said it was “insane” to charge the same price for an inferior version of the game. “$70 on last gen is crazy,” slammed someone else. Thus far, Activision has yet to confirm that Black Ops 6 will indeed be released on the PS4, but it isn’t exactly surprising. Every CoD game released since the PS5 and Xbox Series X launch has been available on Sony’s prior system. Expect to learn more at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9 for a first look at the gameplay and additional info.

CoD fans infuriated by new movement mechanic in Modern Warfare – Dexerto
CoD fans infuriated by new movement mechanic in Modern Warfare Call of Duty players are vocalizing their criticism for developers Infinity Ward following the recent decision to add player collision into CoD: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward, long-time Call of Duty developers, have come under fire since the game’s October release for apparently leaving details out of Modern Warfare patch notes. Fortnite Chapter 2 developers Epic Games have stopped publishing patch notes altogether, supposedly to reduce the influence they have on player decisions. While Infinity Ward have been tight-lipped about potentially omitting details, one recent change has taken CoD players completely by surprise – and not for the better. It has come to the attention of a number of Modern Warfare players that Infinity Ward have recently added player collision. This sees players physically moved when teammates run into them, meaning a teammate can now knock a player from cover or prevent a teammate from reaching a certain location. It’s fair to say the change does not seem to have gone down well. Modern Warfare player ‘Cyberpunk_89’ shared a video on December 30, showing them pushed into a claymore by teammates, after spending a long time tactically scaling a staircase on Tavorsk District. Attached was the question: “Why did you make it to where teammates can push each other?” There were numerous other posts echoing these sentiments. Other players posted a few lines explaining their frustrations with the decision. “Worst feature in CoD history,” one fan said. “I can’t think of a single positive – just why? Forget SBMM, loud footsteps and annoying maps, collisions is by far the most infuriating feature in this game right now.” Another said: “It has gotten me killed quite a few times. Imo they need to remove this asap… The fact that they didn’t even put it in the patch notes is also pretty sh*tty ngl. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for IW to communicate with us”. Many players seem frustrated with the communication – or lack thereof – behind the change. The change was not one fans were asking for; so many are confused as to why it was implemented. Furthermore, many players are finding that their teammates are now responsible for their deaths, pushing them out from behind their cover. In a game with such a fast time to kill, being exposed for even a few seconds sees players cut down. Having it result from a teammate’s behavior has to be immensely frustrating.

CoD fans heartbroken as Vanguard gets same number of Twitch viewers as people sleeping – Dexerto
CoD fans heartbroken as Vanguard gets same number of Twitch viewers as people sleeping Activision / PexelsCall of Duty players are experiencing the full range of emotions as Vanguard’s Twitch viewership plummets. Now, it’s reached the point that the game has as many viewers as… people literally sleeping on stream. Twitch is an interesting place and its viewership can’t necessarily tell you everything you need to know about a game’s popularity. But it’s still an easy way to gauge interest in a title and see how it stands up to other games. While no one would be surprised if ASMR or hot tub streams were outperforming a multiplayer shooting game, Vanguard is facing stiffer, sleepier competition. As people noticed, Twitch viewers seem just as interested in watching streamers asleep as they are in CoD’s latest game. With a modest 3.1k apiece, it seems that Vanguard tied with the “I’m Only Sleeping” category. Vanguard struggles to compete with Twitch sleeping streams CoD Vanguard has the same amount of viewers as people sleeping on Twitch pic.twitter.com/tnHIMqPIP8 — Dexerto (@Dexerto) January 4, 2022 As you can see in the picture above, there was a point where Vanguard and “I’m Only Sleeping” had the same amount of viewers. This isn’t the most exciting news for CoD fans, who were quick to note their heartbreak. FaZe Kalei, who has considered swapping to Apex Legends herself, mentioned how Black Ops 3 used to get “30k viewers constantly.” Remarking on that regression, she said that “s**t’s sad now.” Popular Warzone streamer Aydan, who swapped to Apex Legends recently, also chimed in. The top-tier earner simply threw down a laughing emoji, joining those who find the state of the CoD franchise laughable. It’s worth noting that “I’m Only Sleeping” is, in fact, a video game – but its category was largely co-opted by streamers who sleep on stream. So, with that in mind, viewers were just as interested in sleeping streamers as they were in Vanguard streamers. At the moment, the CoD franchise is at a bit of a crossroads. There are questions about the games’ direction and company’s treatment of its employees. These concerns may need to be addressed for Vanguard to hit a redemption arc.

CoD fans convinced Warzone 2 on Nintendo Switch will be “low-resolution garbage” – Dexerto
CoD fans convinced Warzone 2 on Nintendo Switch will be “low-resolution garbage” ActivisionCall of Duty players are seriously doubting Microsoft’s claims that Activision could port Warzone 2 to the Nintendo Switch successfully and in a timely manner. Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard has resulted in the company promising to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles. A recent report says that Microsoft believes Activision would be able to bring Warzone and the latest CoD titles to Switch citing ports of Apex Legends and Doom as examples. To top this off, Microsoft even stated that they think an optimized port could be completed in just six months. Needless to say, fans are shaking their heads at this prospect and it turns out that the last time Activision tried to port CoD to Switch, the console would overheat! Call of Duty fans mock Nintendo Switch port plan Shortly after news of Microsoft’s plans for a Switch port of Warzone 2 surfaced, fans blasted the idea and doubted it could be done well. “Those Nintendo Switch Call of Duty games will either look like the garbage low-resolution Wii CoD ports (you know what I’m talking about) or cause the console to spark up and explode,” YouTuber LegacyKilla said. “No idea how they realistically plan to do this with the VERY limited hardware they’re dealing with.” It turns out the console exploding wasn’t exactly far from hyperbole as CharlieIntel tweeted that back in 2019, CoD devs said the Switch would overheat with the way the engine was. Other fans agreed. “Can it run? Yea it will, but will it be a good experience? Absolutely not,” someone else commented. “Graphics be like Golden Eye on Nintendo 64. Slapping that with cross-play,” said another. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds, especially in regard to Microsoft’s purchase of Activision and if a Switch port can actually hold up when compared to more modern hardware.

CoD fans bombard CDL & Activision with demands to free Scump – Dexerto
CoD fans bombard CDL & Activision with demands to free Scump OpTic TexasCall of Duty League fans have flooded Twitter and YouTube chat with appeals for Activision to “free Scump” following a copyright strike against his stream on December 15. OpTic Gaming’s Scump has been a pillar of the CoD community for the past decade. First as a professional player and now as a content creator. Scump retired from professional play during the early stages of the 2021 season and put his efforts into creating watch-parties for the events and matches. Popular podcast The Flank and Scump were hit with legal issues earlier in December regarding the content they were showing on their Twitch streams. This legal battle reached a fever pitch on December 15 when Activision officially took down Scump’s stream. Now the community is rallying for his return. ‘Free Scump’ trends following Activision takedown Shortly after having his stream be removed from all platforms, the hashtag ‘#freescump’ began trending on Twitter/X. This was in retaliation for Activation taking down the main source of viewership for the CDL and the hate spread to the CDL YouTube chat as well. On December 16 before the matches took place, hundreds of comments flooded the CDL YouTube stream chat with the phrase ‘Free Scump’. Scump made no official statement regarding the strike that happened on December 15. However he did take to Twitter/X to announce that he would be live again – This time on YouTube only. Activision nor CDL have made any statements either surrounding the stream takedown or Scump. This means fans will have no choice but to sit back and enjoy the remaining matches of the weekend without the input of their favorite streamer.

CoD fans baffled by worst Modern Warfare spawn ever – Dexerto
CoD fans baffled by worst Modern Warfare spawn ever One Reddit user has shared a bizarre spawn they experienced while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, compounding existing community concerns regarding the state of the game’s spawn logic. Following Modern Warfare’s October 25 release, feedback regarding the game has centered on two aspects fans want to see amended: maps and spawns. Maps have generally been criticized as overly large and complex, to the point they encourage negative play-styles. Spawns have also been criticized, with players regularly seeing themselves dropped straight in front of enemies and being killed as quickly as they spawned back in. Some instances have even seen players spawn outside the map or in the path of a tank, as pro Scump hilariously found out. On November 22, Reddit user ‘McNugg2710’ shared a spawn they had experienced while playing Shoothouse, a small three-lane map added to try and speed up some matches. The player joins the match in progress, potentially going some way to explain the strange spawn they experienced. The player drops into the Junkyard area of the map, all too literally. Spawning in mid-air, the player drops to the ground and is instantly killed by the fall damage taken, leaving them baffled as to how such a glitch has made its way into the game. The CoD community seemed equally confused, with the post garnering more than 22,000 upvotes in less than 24 hours. At the time of writing, developers Infinity Ward have not responded to the specific, but have been confirmed in the past to be refining the game’s spawns. While many found the incident funny and inconsequential, there are genuine concerns about how it could impact professional games, given the fact that many pro players have already lamented Modern Warfare’s spawns. No pro players have experienced issues as glaring as this in pro scrimmages, but they have regularly stated that spawns need to be improved, particularly in Hardpoint. Read More: Modern Warfare monitoring footstep audio – Spawns are key to Hardpoint, punishing teams for poor rotations and rewarding teams for successful defensive holds. While Infinity Ward’s work on spawns is ongoing, fans will want to see a quick fix for this bizarre issue.

CoD fans annoyed new Haunting skins won’t carry over to Black Ops 6 multiplayer – Dexerto
CoD fans annoyed new Haunting skins won’t carry over to Black Ops 6 multiplayer ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players are ‘annoyed’ that the brand-new Haunting skins won’t carry over to Black Ops 6 multiplayer and think it’s a missed chance for Call of Duty. When Warzone first introduced a Halloween live event during the Verdansk days, Call of Duty fans were delighted. The night-time map variant was a hit, as were the new skins, and Haunting moments. Over the years, however, fans believe things have gone backward. The night-time maps don’t live up to that early Verdansk feel and the Haunting moments have become more annoying than anything else. It’s already been confirmed that The Haunting will return in Modern Warfare 3 and is set to bring some incredibly spooky skins to the game. However, with Black Ops 6 just around the corner, CoD fans are ‘annoyed’ about the lack of carry forward for the new skins when it comes to Multiplayer. “WHY would they give us such a dope skin when it won’t even carry over into the next multiplayer in 6 weeks?” Redditor PuddingZealousideal6 asked. “I wish they would just do the Carry Forward again for operators.” Other annoyed players were quick to agree. “Same thing came to my mind. Like why not just add him to Bo6? Bo6 literally comes out before Halloween,” said one. “They are developing for Warzone. Everything else is an afterthought,” another added. “Collab skins should be the exception to the ‘no carry over’ rule. At least the more recent ones,” another player suggested. Some noted that the skins will, of course, carry forward in Warzone. “Being able to use it in Warzone is probably the only reason I’m contemplating this battle pass,” one added. Other players suggested that other modes, like Michael Myers and Scream, should make a comeback in The Haunting event too. Though, the Halloween season is already chock full of stuff including, yes, the release of Black Ops 6.

CoD experts claim Warzone 2 Ranked needs to copy Apex Legends to succeed – Dexerto
CoD experts claim Warzone 2 Ranked needs to copy Apex Legends to succeed Respawn Entertainment, ActivisionWarzone 2 experts Aydan, JGOD, IceManIsaac, and Repullze have revealed what the upcoming Ranked mode needs to borrow from Apex Legends to be successful. The four Warzone 2 personalities came together on the Pullze Check podcast to talk about the game’s upcoming Ranked mode. There’s not much known about the mode. IceManIsaac recently suggested that it will have a list of banned items, but that’s all we know so far. Even the pros are still out of the loop on how it will function. Players are brimming with anticipation for the long-awaited mode, but the group had some concerns that stem from the Warzone 2 potentially copying Modern Warfare 2’s Skill Rating system. They claimed that Apex Legends has things figured out in a way that CoD hasn’t managed yet. Warzone 2 pros explain why CoD should copy from Apex Legends The big problem that the Pullze Check crew is scared of for Warzone 2 is that a Ranked system has the potential to turn into a grindfest, meaning that the players will rank up too easily if they simply play the game a bunch instead of actually improving at it. This thought process stemmed from Aydan explaining that he feels that way about both Fortnite Arenas and MW2’s Ranked Play. “Say you’re a Top 250 squad and you lose to a bunch of solo Crimsons – you don’t really lose as much SR as I think you should,” he explained. “Like ScummN, for example, he’s been doing 24-hour streams, and it shouldn’t come down to that. It should come down to skill.” As for how to fix that, JGOD suggested that “huge penalties” need to be applied to squads that lose to make the balance feel rewarding in the long run. IceManIsaac pointed to Overwatch’s Top 500 system, which does have huge negatives in losses and an SR decay system that would keep players regularly playing, not allowing them to “camp” the top ranks. The crew then brought up Apex Legends’ scaling RP penalty for each rank, with Aydan calling it “the best FPS BR Ranked mode” right now, and insinuating that Warzone 2’s Ranked needs to be similarly grueling. Of course, this is all theoretical for the time being, but this squad certainly feels like there’s a lesson to be learned from WZ 2’s competition.

CoD expert reveals huge audio change in Modern Warfare 2 patch – Dexerto
CoD expert reveals huge audio change in Modern Warfare 2 patch ActivisionBuried in the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 patch notes, Activision “improved footstep audio,” but CoD expert Xclusive Ace revealed a much different story. One of the biggest complaints from Modern Warfare 2’s Open Beta was “loud” footstep audio. The community also voiced concerns over Dead Silence’s conversion to a Field Upgrade instead of a loadout perk. Loud footsteps and the removal of Dead Silence as a perk encouraged camping, as CoD YouTuber JGOD argued in his MW2 review. The Call of Duty guru claimed campers could easily sit and wait out aggressive players more noticeably than other titles. On September 27, the developers responded, “we have seen your continued feedback on the volume of footsteps and will continue to balance enemy/friendly footstep audio ahead of launch.” In the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 update on November 16, Activision patched footstep audio, and CoD expert Xclusive Ace revealed a secret behind the change. MW2 footstep audio increased in Season 1 update Activision claimed, “the audio team has made significant improvements to the audio system to address this clear area.” Community members wanted a decrease in footstep volume, but Xclusive Ace analyzed audio peaks and concluded, “it appears footstep volume was increased by roughly 75%.” He continued, “To be clear, it may not be a 75% increase across the board. And also, as someone pointed out, Db aren’t linear. Either way, it’s very noticeably louder after the update.” One user argued, “Could this be another unintentional side effect since MW2 and WZ2 share a lot of code and are part of the same app?” All quality-of-life changes made in MW2 Season 1 carry over to WZ2, so some players believe the developers prioritized Warzone gameplay over Multiplayer. A second person added, “Hopefully, it’s a glitch because it’s so easy to listen to people trying to be sneaky now.” We will provide an update if we learn specific details about the latest audio patch.

CoD Esports Team Camos Have Appeared in CoD: WWII – OpTic Gaming, eUnited, Rise Nation, and More! – Dexerto
CoD Esports Team Camos Have Appeared in CoD: WWII – OpTic Gaming, eUnited, Rise Nation, and More! @Nimble_CODWeapon camo skins themed after several Call of Duty esports teams have appeared in CoD: WWII. So far, camos have been confirmed in-game for the following teams: OpTic Gaming, eUnited, Rise Nation, Mindfreak, Luminosity Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Team EnVy, Team Kaliber, UNILAD Esports, Red Reserve, Echo Fox, Splyce, and the CoD World League. Images of these team themed weapon camos began appearing on the internet and social media on June 25th. It appears that the only way to actually see them in-game is to load up a private match full of AI players known as ‘bots,’ which carry weapons that are emblazoned with the team designs. Tainted Minds pro CoD player Giancarlo ‘Nimble’ Vagnini tweeted out several images showing the new skins in-game. OpTic GamingeUnitedRise NationMindfreakLuminosity GamingEvil GeniusesTeam EnVyTeam KaliberUNILAD EsportsRed ReserveEcho FoxSplyceCall of Duty World League Twitter user Juan Carlos Alvarado (@jdekk0s) tweeted out this image showing the OpTic Gaming weapon camo. OpTic Gaming Judging by the fact that these camos have not yet been confirmed or announced by developer Sledgehammer Games, it would appear that they may have been added to the game early by mistake. Furthermore, not everyone who loads up a private match is able to see these weapon camos, which could have something to do with the upcoming ‘United Front’ DLC #3, which can be currently downloaded and played offline for everyone on PS4 that is outside of the North American region. This article will be updated with more images of esports team weapon camos should more images of them appear online.

CoD devs share tales of reusing maps: Overgrown hidden in Verdansk, Dome built from Vacant, more – Dexerto
CoD devs share tales of reusing maps: Overgrown hidden in Verdansk, Dome built from Vacant, more ActivisionCall of Duty developers at Infinity Ward spilled the beans on some less obvious easter eggs hidden across fan-favorite maps during our exclusive interview. With a dozen or so maps launching each and every year with new installments in the CoD franchise, and even more still arriving later in seasonal updates, it’s no surprise certain elements are reused from time to time. Whether it’s a significant piece of geometry, an asset for a particular building, or something else entirely, various chunks of age-old maps have stood the test of time and made multiple appearances throughout the CoD series. Though many of these surprise inclusions have gone under the radar for years at this point. From classic locations hidden in Warzone’s mega-popular Verdansk map to assets being shared from 2005 all the way through to 2011, here’s what we learned of during our recent sit-down with two multiplayer devs at Infinity Ward. Reusing CoD 4 assets in Verdansk Given the sheer scope of Battle Royale maps, it’s no surprise devs look to cram in a wide range of easter eggs and nods to the past. In some cases, these are blatantly obvious, with certain POIs copying classic layouts on the whole, be it Scrapyard in the original Verdansk or Summit in the Verdansk ‘84 update. However, many far more subtle examples are also packed in. Some of which seemingly haven’t been uncovered to this day. One such example comes from Overgrown, an original Modern Warfare map. “People didn’t pick up on it,” Multiplayer Design Director Geoff Smith laughed. “We used a lot of old buildings from CoD 4 in Verdansk. “There’s a house in Overgrown that for whatever reason, everyone called Grandma’s House. That house is in Verdansk but people didn’t quite pick up on it. It’s funny to slip those buildings in.” From CoD 2 all the way to Modern Warfare 3 Another fascinating example comes from Dome, Infinity Ward’s popular map that first appeared in MW3, not to be confused with Treyarch’s map of the same name from World at War. After Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joseph Cecot shared that Dome was one of his all-time favorite CoD maps, Smith chimed back in with a “fun side story” on its creation. “That was made when I wasn’t at the studio, but that building, the main building you can run through, is the same building in the backside of Vacant.” That alone is certainly intriguing but it turns out this particular building has a much longer history in the franchise. “That same build” also happened to be used as a “department store in CoD 2 in Russia,” Smith continued. “That’s where I grabbed the [geometry] from. It’s funny how these little buildings can pop up and come out again.” With so many incredible nuggets of information shared throughout just the brief conversation, there’s no doubt enough for CoD devs to fill an entire book with. We even pitched a simpler idea of just turning a Twitch stream on and giving fans a retrospective deep dive. While nothing was locked in then and there, Smith agreed it would “be cool” to peel back the curtain for fans in that way one day down the line.

CoD devs rush out Warzone 2 fix after players find infinite money exploit in Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto
CoD devs rush out Warzone 2 fix after players find infinite money exploit in Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionCall of Duty’s devs have rushed out a Warzone 2 hotfix shortly after players discovered an exploit with the Deployable Buy Stations in Season 4 Reloaded, one that unintentionally dropped infinite cash. After the release of Season 4 Reloaded, countless Warzone 2 players hopped into the game to try out many of Activision’s new offerings. However, just a day after the season released, the community quickly discovered a game-breaking exploit. To activate the new bug, players would just need to shoot a Deployable Buy Station and it would keep dropping cash as long as you kept shooting it. However, the exploit has since been patched with a new hotfix from the devs rushed online after unintentionally letting the bug through. In a tweet by the Call of Duty Updates account, they wrote, “A minor update has gone live to address an issue with Deployable Buy Stations unintentionally dropping cash.” The exploit was found by players just a day after the new mid-season update dropped, as players were able to rack up thousands of dollars by just shooting the Buy Stations. In a clip by Warzone streamer BobbyPoff, we can see the exploit in full effect. As long as he keeps shooting the Buy Station, it keeps dropping money, which can then obviously be used to purchase various upgrades and pieces of equipment. While this particular exploit has been removed, a number of other bugs have not been resolved as of yet, namely problems of FPS issues on PC which have been affecting players since the Season 4 Reloaded update went live. We’ll be sure to update you here should any other significant exploits slip through the cracks in the latest build of Warzone 2.

CoD devs refund players after launching new skin bundle at wrong price – Dexerto
CoD devs refund players after launching new skin bundle at wrong price ActivisionCall of Duty’s devs are refunding players after launching a new weapon skin bundle at the wrong price, which briefly made it the most expensive bundle to date. It’s not exactly cheap to be a CoD fan these days, as to keep up to date with the franchise, you’re guaranteed to spend around $70 to buy the newest installment every year. And if you’re the type of player to buy skins on top, the amount you’re spending might be going much higher than that, as skin bundles can set you back up $30 a piece, let alone getting the Battle Pass every Season as well. One such new skin bundle was recently dropped, known as the Gassed Up bundle, and was temporarily the most expensive bundle to date, however, was soon refunded by the devs as it proved to be a mistake. The Gassed Up bundle released on February 18, and many players were quick to notice its high price of 3,400 CoD Points, making it the highest-priced bundle to date for the game. To purchase the bundle players would’ve needed to buy 5,000 CoD points to afford it, would cost you $39.99 to get it. Obviously, that’s a steep price considering there are recently released games like Helldivers 2 that cost the same. However, the bundle was quickly taken down as its high price was due to an error. “The Gassed Up Weapon Vault bundle has been temporarily removed from the Store due to a pricing error. The intended price is 2,400 CoD Points,” the official CoD Updates Twitter account announced. “Players who purchased this bundle for 3,400 CoD Points will soon be refunded the difference of 1,000 CoD Points.” As for when players can expect the Gassed Up bundle’s return to the game, the devs have yet to announce any further details.

CoD devs finally clamp down on mouse and keyboard aim assist cheats plaguing Warzone – Dexerto
CoD devs finally clamp down on mouse and keyboard aim assist cheats plaguing Warzone ActivisionCall of Duty devs have finally clamped down on mouse and keyboard aim-assist cheats that have been plaguing Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 in recent weeks. The debate of mouse and keyboard versus controller has been a long controversial one, but if there’s an advantage controller players will always have against MnK, it’s aim assist. Especially now that crossplay has become standard, controller supremacy in CoD has become readily apparent thanks to its heavy aim assist. However, software that spoofed the game into thinking MnK inputs were coming from a controller has been impacting the franchise of late, giving MnK players aim assist as well. But now, CoD devs have finally clamped down. Announced on the CoD Updates Twitter account on January 16, the devs confirmed that RICOCHET, CoD’s anti-cheat system, will now detect software like reWASD which can activate aim assist on MnK. “Our security detection systems now target platers using tools to activate aim assist while using a mouse and keyboard. The Call of Duty application will close if detected. Repeated use of these tools may lead to further account action.” The devs have been working on banning third-party software and hardware for quite a while, with the infamous Cronus Zen being detected by RICOCHET since April 2023. And just like the Cronus ban, players who have been caught repeatedly abusing the exploit may be hit with a ban here as well. Despite controller dominance with aim assist, MnK still allows finer control of aiming, which is why aim assist was never implemented for it, as aim assist is meant to keep a level playing field between the two. Software that can spoof games into thinking MnK inputs as controllers may only be available on PC, however, it can affect other games outside of CoD. Popular YouTuber jackfrags who highlighted the software pointed out that games with strong aim assist, like Apex Legends or The Finals, can be affected by software like reWASD.

CoD devs finally address Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 PC crashing issues – Dexerto
CoD devs finally address Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 PC crashing issues ActivisionCall of Duty devs have finally responded to Warzone 2.0’s widespread crashing issues, which have been plaguing PC players with NVIDIA graphics cards since the battle royale’s launch back in November. Warzone 2.0 crashing has been a major issue for players of the battle royale sequel since it launched back on November 16. Plenty of players, on all platforms, have found their game randomly shutting down mid-match and forcing them to reload and drop back in. The issues have even catalyzed calls for a reconnect option to be added to Warzone 2.0, as is a multiplayer feature in games like Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG. However, while the situation for those on Xbox and PlayStation has improved, plenty of PC players are reporting the continuation of crashing issues well into Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s Season One. Thankfully, the devs have now isolated a cause and issued a response. Warzone 2 PC crashing issues related to NVIDIA graphics cards In a December 1 tweet, the official Call of Duty account stated that those affected on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 have been identified as using NVIDIA graphics cards. They said: “We are aware of, and working to resolve, a specific PC GPU crash issue that is impacting some Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 players with NVIDIA graphics cards. Our teams at Beenox and Infinity Ward are working closely with NVIDIA to identify and fix the issue.” Unfortunately, they did not offer a workaround or a timescale on a fix, meaning affected players will have to hang in there and remain patient. It’s likely that now the root of the issue has been identified a specific cause and fix will follow promptly. Here’s hoping it’s solved by the time Season One Reloaded rolls around on December 14.

CoD devs crack down on Warzone cheaters again in new lobby update – Dexerto
CoD devs crack down on Warzone cheaters again in new lobby update ActivisionCoD developers have once again cracked down on cheaters across Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, this time implementing a new update to boot them before a game even gets underway. CoD’s cheating crisis has been raging for a number of years now. No matter how many safeguards devs at Activision introduce, pesky cheaters often find another way to circumvent them. As the RICOCHET anticheat system has waned in efficacy this year, the dev team has been pushing more and more incremental updates to bolster its power. Now, as of August 8, 2024, there’s a new countermeasure in place to squash cheaters before they even so much as start up a match. Lobby scraping apps are designed to give cheaters a heads-up. By analyzing lobbies before games get going, cheaters can assess the skill level of everyone else in a match. At least, that’s how it worked prior to the new update. Moving forward, RICOCHET will detect such lobby scraping tools and kick cheaters before the match even begins. “To combat boosting and stream sniping, RICOHCET is deploying updates targeting lobby scraping apps,” an August 8 update explained. “Call of Duty will shut down for players with these apps active.” It goes without saying, such malicious tools go against Activision’s terms of service. Thus, not only will these cheaters have their game crash, but they also risk further punishment in the form of suspensions or account bans. Reception to the news has been overwhelmingly positive, with players and content creators alike all labeling it a “W update.” Influencers especially had been impacted by lobby-scraping tools as pesky players jumped from one lobby to another in effort to find and harass their streamer of choice. In recent weeks, CoD players have engaged with new cheats that go above and beyond earlier hacks. Some outright bypassed Activision’s anti-cheat software, while others came as a result of Modern Warfare 3’s launch on Xbox Game Pass.

CoD devs accidentally leak classic MW2 gun returning to Warzone 2 – Dexerto
CoD devs accidentally leak classic MW2 gun returning to Warzone 2 ActivisionThe Call of Duty Japan account accidentally revealed that a classic Modern Warfare weapon will be arriving in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded, but there will be a twist. When the Modern Warfare series was soft rebooted back in 2019, Call of Duty fans immediately began running wild with speculation and theories about what would career over from the previous games. Given that Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2 (2009), and Modern Warfare 3 all had iconic weapons, they were the first to be requested. Some of these have made their way into the new games with different names – the Intervention will be the latest of these when Season 3 kicks off. However, there are still some that haven’t yet made their way over. We’d know, we’re still waiting for the ACR. Yet, one of the series’ most iconic weapons will be arriving in Season 3’s Reloaded update, but with a little twist. Automatic Desert Eagle leaked for MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded After the roadmap for Season 3 was revealed on April 11, fans noticed that there was a tease for a new secondary weapon on the graphic. Many quickly noted the resemblance to the Tec-9, but the Call of Duty Japan account went one step further. Their now-deleted tweet revealed that it will also be joined by the ‘Automatic .50 GS’. The .50 GS is, of course, the alternative name for the Desert Eagle handgun that has become so iconic in the Modern Warfare series. Though, we’ve not seen an automatic version in-game to this point. So, it would be something completely new. Some fans quickly voiced their skepticism about it being automatic, given how powerful the normal Desert Eagle typically is anyway. Others noted that the weapon is already being used in real-life combat, so it would make sense to join the game. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see if it ends up being as deadly as some fear.

CoD dataminers claim 21 Savage & Nicki Minaj Operators coming to Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 – Dexerto
CoD dataminers claim 21 Savage & Nicki Minaj Operators coming to Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Instagram: 21 savage / Instagram: nickiminaj / ActivisionAnother wave of celebrity crossover bundles may be on the way to Call of Duty as dataminers have allegedly found evidence of new Operators for 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj. In an era where live-service games like Fortnite break the mold with marquee collaborations on a near-weekly basis, with everyone from Master Chief to LeBron James dropping in, Activision has slowly been following suit with its hit FPS franchise. Notably, both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 looked to kickstart the crossover trend in CoD earlier this year when internet celebs NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman were the first to receive their own custom bundles in-game. Things didn’t quite go according to plan here, however, as both bundles were soon removed due to controversy surrounding the former. However, the troubled first attempt may not have halted Activision’s plans altogether. Following the Season 4 Reloaded update on July 12, dataminers have reportedly sifted through the latest batch of code and uncovered new references for future celeb Operators on the way. First circulated by prominent dataminer ‘HeyImAlaix’ on Twitter, they shared that mega-popular artists 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj may both be receiving custom Operator bundles in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. While exact details are obviously unclear for now, the leaker soon followed up to assure that both are “100%” in store for Operator skins in particular. Meaning CoD players could soon be able to drop into battle in the shoes of either hip-hop musician. Given the scope of the first bundles of this nature as well, with NICKMERCS and Tim both arriving with custom weapon Blueprints to boot, there’s every chance these bundles follow suit as well, giving players more ways to rep the popular celebs in-game. Just when these two crossover cosmetics may arrive in CoD also remains to be seen, though further reports suggest a launch sometime in Season 5. We’ll be sure to update you here should that change in the coming weeks. Crossovers are nothing inherently new for the CoD series on the whole, as in previous seasons, we’ve seen a number of big properties like Rambo and even Saw enter the fray to some degree. However, playable celeb Operators is a relatively new territory. If leaks hold true, 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj would be the first playable musicians in CoD. Given Season 4 Reloaded only just went live, we’re bound to learn plenty more in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for any teasers from the celebs.

CoD datamine reveals Warhammer 40K collab in the works for Warzone & MW3 – Dexerto
CoD datamine reveals Warhammer 40K collab in the works for Warzone & MW3 Activision/Games WorkshopDataminers have combed through Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and found artwork that reveals an impending collaboration with Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K. The Call of Duty franchise has been a bit trigger-happy with its collaborations in recent years. From TV shows like The Boys to the inclusion of chart-topping rappers like Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg, they’ve certainly altered the look and feel of one of the world’s most popular FPS series. The franchise’s most recent entry Modern Warfare 3 is currently in the throes of a massive leak with new information still emerging. Dataminers have uncovered a tonne of new information including details on returning maps. It’s not just where Call of Duty players will face off against each other that they’ve found. Initially uncovered by famed leaker Semtex, data mining of Modern Warfare 3 has revealed artwork that indicates an incoming collaboration centered around Warhammer 40K. The artwork revealed shows imagery focused on the Dark Angels chapter of Space Marines and the Sisters of Battle. Two popular factions in the Warhammer 40K tabletop game and expanded universe. Further digging revealed two new Operators, Boreas, an Interrogator Chaplain of the Dark Angels and famed Sister of Battle Helewise. Both characters appear throughout the Warhammer 40K novels. The inclusion of the Dark Angels as a focus of this Modern Warfare 3 collab makes a lot of sense. They currently have a bit of a spotlight in the overarching narrative of Warhammer 40K now that their Primarch (read genetically modified demigod) Lion El’Jonson is back on the scene. The exact shape this collaboration will take is currently unknown as the Operators are the only in-game assets that have been touched on so far. It is possible that playable content like playlists or map changes but that’s purely speculation. We’d be lying if we said that we wouldn’t love to see Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone add Warhammer 40K’s famous Bolter as a weapon, though it may hurt the game’s balance. If you thought people hated Akimbo .375s, wait until you see a grenade launcher with the magazine size and fire rate of an SMG.

CoD cuts Crash Bandicoot bundle price after error made it cost as much as the game – Dexerto
CoD cuts Crash Bandicoot bundle price after error made it cost as much as the game ActivisionCall of Duty has removed the new Crash Bandicoot-themed bundle after it was incorrectly priced in the Warzone 2 store and sparked backlash from MW2 players for costing nearly the same as the actual game. Over the years, Call of Duty has dipped its foot into the cosmetics market with different characters and gun skins. Previously, these were mostly about the CoD esports scene, but they became more widespread as the developers got further into the battle royale genre. Just like its rivals in Fortnite and Apex Legends, there have been a few crossovers with popular culture too. Naturally, these bundles can be a bit on the pricey side and always spark a conversation about whether or not players should fork out for them. Well, the newest of these – a Crash Bandicoot-themed bundle – has sparked a bit of outrage after it was released with the incorrect price. Warzone 2 players furious with price error for Crash Team Rumble bundle The Crash Team Rumble bundle was advertised ahead of Season 4, but it didn’t launch immediately alongside the new update. Instead, it was held back a few days as part of the CoD store drip feed. While it was previously advertised to cost 1800 CoD points, it actually launched with a 2400 CoD point price point, sparking outrage from players. “They added a Crash Team Rumble bundle but it’s $25 and the actual Crash game is $30 lol,” said Redditor Klaytn. “Absolute nonsense and I’m not happy, GGs champ,” added another annoyed fan. “The wild part is how many people will actually purchase it…,” said another. “And there’s the grenade skin in a paid bundle…and so it begins…,” commented another, raising concerns about future cosmetics. The devs have acknowledged their mistake, however, and have since removed the bundle from the store. “The Tracer Pack: Crash Bandicoot Bundle is temporarily unavailable in the Store while we correct the price to 1800 CP. It will return to the Store soon,” they tweeted, adding that players who purchased it for 2400 CoD Points will receive a 600 CoD Point refund.

CoD community want bans for Warzone cheaters making matches “unplayable” – Dexerto
CoD community want bans for Warzone cheaters making matches “unplayable” Infinity WardThe Call of Duty player-base wants Infinity Ward to address Warzone’s growing problem with hackers, who have become more prevalent in the game since launch. From speed hacks to aimbot, Warzone is becoming another victim in a long line of battle royales that is being overrun by players who use them. Previously, games like Fortnite, PUBG, Apex Legends, Battlefield Firestorm, and Blackout have been soured by hackers. To prevent Warzone from being the next battle royale on a downward spiral due to cheaters, players want IW to put a focus on thwarting the hackers who are “flourishing” in some regions. Putting the problem into perspective, Reddit user ‘notanaijin’ said that these players are “running rampant” in their local server. “I’m playing on Asian servers because I live in Japan and cheaters are running rampant here (Chinese cheaters in particular),” they said. “People’s aim are staying glued to my head in the kill cams and I’m sure they can see through walls as they prefire around corners when I’m not making a sound.” People in the thread pointed out the Asian servers’ infamous reputation of being a hotspot for a large portion of hackers in many other games and make them “unplayable.” The problem might not be as overtly prevalent across other regions, though people report that some form of cheater routinely shows up in their matches. “For me, one in three games I get killed by [cheaters],” ‘Darkcount2011’ said, outlining how many hackers they come across over their matches. “Like obviously killed. Watching my death replay and just snapping on my head without recoil. Reported over 20 cheaters right now.” It’s got to a point where some hackers are poking fun at the holes in IW’s anti-cheat as they rampage through the server. A video by user ‘ItzNickM80’ shows how they got eliminated by a player named ‘NiceAntiCheat’ who was mowing players down on their way to the final circles. Needless to say, nothing frustrates players of any game more than running into cheaters and hackers, and with Warzone still being the talk of the town in the online gaming community, the pressure is now on Infinity Ward to address these issues before they start affecting the game’s success.

CoD community unhappy with Ghost’s updated look in Modern Warfare – Dexerto
CoD community unhappy with Ghost’s updated look in Modern Warfare Infinity WardAn early look at Ghost in Modern Warfare is splitting the Call of Duty community, due to the character’s updated design for season 2. Arguably the most iconic piece of imagery from the CoD franchise is a simple skull imprinted on a balaclava, which British special forces operator Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley wears with dark-red sunglasses to conceal his identity. However, it looks like there’s going to be a hefty change in his appearance when he makes his way into the new era of Modern Warfare when the Season 2 Battle Pass releases on February 11. Contents for the next major update leaked ahead of its official reveal, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come after Infinity Ward’s huge Season 1 offering that gave players a ton of in-game items to collect. While any incarnation of Ghost in Call of Duty is enough reason to turn heads, some feel that Infinity Ward should have just given him a straightforward remaster in Modern Warfare, rather than an entirely new design. “Words cannot describe how much I dislike his new look,” user ‘Divulci’ wrote in a ModernWarfare subreddit post that has since been removed. “He looks like he carved the mask out of one of those cheap plastic Halloween skeletons you put in the yard.” Even people who don’t outright dislike the design can see why this direction might not have been the play for the Season 2 headliner, whose firm roots in player nostalgia is bound to produce hype. Reddit user ‘JediJulius’ said: “I think the look itself isn’t bad, but I feel like the skull mask, black eyeliner, and cape is a bit overdone, if that makes sense. In contrast, previous Ghost just wore a balaclava… I feel like the old look was a bit more practical in its simplicity.” There are plenty of fans who like the updated design for Ghost, since Infinity Ward modernized him a bit to fit in with the new era of Modern Warfare, but Reddit user ‘Black_Hussar’ nailed it when they said he just, “looks… weird.” It’ll be interesting if the pushback gets to a point where developers either retool his Battle Pass appearance or create a totally new skin for a more classic vibe throughout the second season for Modern Warfare.

CoD community torn by max settings controller player who “doesn’t rely on aim assist” – Dexerto
CoD community torn by max settings controller player who “doesn’t rely on aim assist” YouTube/DynamicyhA Call of Duty YouTuber has split the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone communities after showing off footage of his insane max settings controller gameplay. The aim assist debate in FPS titles is one as old as time at this point, but for CoD controller player ‘Dynamic,’ it’s not something he needs. In recently-uploaded footage, Dynamic revealed his alleged skills on the sticks with precise flicks, quick reflexes and frags that would make Rambo blush. However, his gameplay is so incredible that some pros are convinced that he’s cheating, even though the YouTuber claims that he doesn’t and has even posted handcam footage in an effort to prove his innocence. Controller player stuns CoD community with ridiculous gameplay Dynamic has said that unlike other controller players, he “doesn’t rely on aim assist,” and has become a hero for other controller gamers. “DAMM your flicks on controller are insane,” praised a fellow CoD enthusiast. “Bro, this is impressive. I’m almost never impressed by controller aim but this goes above and beyond mouse and keyboard skill,” another said. “You’re truly gifted/talented. It does look like you cheat tho so I hope that isn’t the case.” After esports reporter Jake Lucky shared his gameplay, former CoD pro ‘Prestinni’ took issue with the footage. “I hate that some people are believing this is legit,” he remarked. He wasn’t the only one either. Two-time world champion ‘Arcitys’ joked, “damn I’m not trying to see him in my shipment.” In any case, while the community continues to debate the player’s actual skills and if he’s cheating, Dynamic and Lucky have plans to put this argument to rest on stream. We’ll have to wait and see what the verdict is, but for the time being, Dynamic is the latest in a long line of players to be accused of cheating in the popular FPS franchise.

CoD community suspicious after Warzone pros set insane Duos world record – Dexerto
CoD community suspicious after Warzone pros set insane Duos world record SBMMWarzone / Activision / FoxAn unbelievable new Duos vs Quads world record in Warzone has many in the community scratching their heads after the two pro players with high K/D ratios were able to get into a very low-skilled lobby. Warzone world records have been dropping like flies since the Black Ops Cold War integration. Part of the reason is the DMR, Mac-10 meta that’s been dominating Verdansk the likes of which no other meta has done before. But that’s not the only factor that’s been crippling the legitimacy of these records; recently, CoD YouTubers like Drift0r and others have exposed in-game exploits that guarantee “bot lobbies” (matches with predominantly low-skilled players), a method that many claim is known and used by some streamers and top-level competitive players. This issue was brought to the forefront yet again on January 10 when SuperEvan and TBE_Newbzz, two of the better Warzone players in the world, set a new world record for eliminations in a Duos vs Quads match: 107. This mark is a whopping 22 kills higher than the previous record of 85 – a differential that’s virtually unheard of in this day and age of the battle royale. SuperEvan himself racked up 60 kills, a tally that very few players have ever reached in Warzone, regardless of the mode. Newbz’s 47 eliminations are eyebrow-raising as well, and their combined damage of just under 33,000 is also extremely impressive. But the Warzone community isn’t entirely convinced with this record; as soon as both players tweeted out the incredible feat, their posts were spammed with replies questioning the type of lobby the match was played in. According to the Warzone companion app that’s gone viral over the past couple of weeks, their lobby was categorized as Bronze 5, which is among the lowest levels possible – bottom 1% of all lobbies. Among the things pointed out were that the average K/D ratio of the lobby was 0.68 and the median was 0.53, while SuperEvan’s (5.41) and Newbzz’s (5.14) K/Ds were first and second, respectively, and no one else in the game was over 2.70. In fact, there were only 14 other players that had a positive K/D — everyone else’s was below 1.00, which is extremely low by the BR’s standards. Considering how good the two players are at the game, users expressed their confusion at how the duo ended up in such a poor lobby when skill-based matchmaking is notorious for ensuring these sorts of skill differentials don’t occur. Thus, it came as no surprise when the players were bombarded with tweets highlighting these facts and openly questioning the legitimacy of the world record, especially since there were no Jailbreaks during the match. Great work in a lobby with an average 0.7KD pic.twitter.com/HXmutNb1FW — James (@JamesAbbott737) January 10, 2021 ‘Duo Quads’ Meaning using 2 Fresh Accounts with no stats in the same lobby as you initially that then back out…. amazing….. teach me you wizards! pic.twitter.com/izfacVh0yG — SideJoe (@FutSidejoe) January 10, 2021 Just how in the world can you explain getting into a lobby as bad as this one without using a VPN or some other kind of trick? I have friends that play with VPN and even they never get a bottom 1% lobby lol pic.twitter.com/ojpMEBrzuX — DrunkLazyHunter (@drunklazyhunter) January 10, 2021 Even some bigger-name content creators like OpTic Gaming’s Hitch and Blake got in on the subtweeting, posting these memes shortly after Evan and Newbzz pulled off their mindblowing performance. just dropped 85 kills in Warzone!!! IM NASTY pic.twitter.com/a7oZUAMQ06 — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) January 10, 2021 Warzone world record tweets vs lobby difficulty screenshots pic.twitter.com/OygQMy5cjz — OpTic 6lake (@blakecissel) January 10, 2021 With all of this going on, Dexerto asked SuperEvan about his response to the allegations that they may have influenced the type of lobby their record-setting match was played in. “Anyone who truly knows me knows I would never cheat or use anything like that to my advantage,” he said. “At the end of the day, there’s always going to be players that hate. We just got lucky to be in that lobby.” Watch now: Call of Duty’s Best Cold War Players Heading into CDL Season 2 In the pair’s defense, the two are known to be extremely high-level Warzone players, so them getting this record with total legitimacy is definitely possible. There’s a reason why Dexerto has ranked Evan as one of our current top-seven Warzone competitors in the world. However, the concerns are not unusual; at no other point in Warzone’s short history has there been a time when the quality of lobbies have fallen under so much suspicion, considering the aforementioned tricks that allegedly can ensure players get into low-skill matches. With how difficult it can be to tell whether or not someone is manipulating their game to match up against terrible opponents, and how many of these exploits there are floating around, those chasing world records should always expect meticulous scrutiny to follow.

CoD community reacts to RØKKR’s insane Hardpoint comeback vs Empire – Dexerto
CoD community reacts to RØKKR’s insane Hardpoint comeback vs Empire Twitter: ROKKR / Katy Eyre/ESPAT MediaFrom pro players, to commentators and coaches alike, the Call of Duty community was blown away by a breathtaking five-map affair between the Minnesota RØKKR and the Dallas Empire during the CDL Los Angeles Grand Finals. As the world’s best Call of Duty teams descended on Los Angeles for the fourth CDL event of 2020, shocking results set the stage for a captivating Grand Final series between the RØKKR and the Empire. Having toppled previous event champs Atlanta FaZe on their way to the top, the Minnesota-based lineup seemingly had momentum on their side and continued to blow the community away with a staggering Hardpoint comeback in the series. Down two maps to one against the Empire, with the outcome of the event hanging in the balance, Minnesota refused to go down without a fight as they pushed through to the final seconds of Hardpoint on Hackney Yard. With fewer than 10 points needed for either team to clinch the map, it came down to the final few rotations and the last wave of respawns yet Minnesota was narrowly able to eek out the 250-247 victory. To the shock and awe of the LA crowd, along with Clint ‘Maven’ Evans and Joseph ‘Merk’ DeLuca on the mic, as well as fellow pros tuned in at home, the RØKKR swung momentum in their favor. They were battled against unfavorable spawns and sealed the deal despite the odds being stacked against them in the closing moments. Even Chicago Huntsmen owner Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez was tuned in, sharing emoji eyes with RØKKR co-owner Gary Vaynerchuk. “No freaking way,” Philip ‘Momo’ Whitfield posted while his casting duo Miles Ross described it as the “best Hardpoint ending of the year.” “Just an epic series so far,” Empire owner Mike ‘hastr0’ Rufail said, recognizing the incredible competition in spite of his roster being taken to a fifth map. https://twitter.com/Momo/status/1236831999962185728 More professional players chimed in, however, not everyone was praising the series. Rather, a number of competitors questioned the closing moments and explained how the map could have played out differently. “Why did Huke try jumping out of yellow?” Bradley ‘wuskin’ Marshall asked. “Whoever made that kill won it.” Highlighting the final set of eliminations, which saw the Empire seemingly wipe out the final wave of attackers from the RØKKR, Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni of the Toronto Ultra highlighted how Dallas could have closed out the final there and then. “If all of Dallas put their controllers down after that first wave of kills…game over.” Why did huke try jumping out of yellow!?!???!!? Whoever made that kill won it — wuskin (@wuskinz) March 9, 2020 If all of Dallas put their controllers down after that first wave of kills..game over — OpTic Methodz (@Methodz) March 9, 2020 Ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be for the ROKKR lineup at the LA event as they came short at the finish line despite taking Empire to a game five thanks to their Hardpoint heroics. The community might not have to wait long before these juggernauts go at it again however, as the ROKKR will be battling their way through to the top on March 28 as Empire hosts the next CDL event.

CoD community reacts to Prestinni’s emotional win vs twin brother Arcitys – Dexerto
CoD community reacts to Prestinni’s emotional win vs twin brother Arcitys ActivisionFrom fellow Call of Duty League competitors, to commentators and team owners alike, the Call of Duty community came together to express their emotions after a heart-wrenching series saw Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson take his first win over twin brother Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson. In the semi-finals of Atlanta’s homestand event, brothers were lined up against one another for the first time in the Call of Duty League as the Chicago Huntsmen squared off with the Florida Mutineers. Having teamed together in every year of their competitive tenure until the CDL started, even raising the Champs trophy together in 2019 under eUnited, this series marked the very first time Prestinni played against twin brother Arcitys, and the community came together during the emotional showdown. Ultimately, Florida proved too strong for Chicago in the semi-final matchup as they completed the reverse sweep and took down the CDL London champions. An emotional post-match interview with the twins had both players struggling to remain composed on-stage while friends and family looked on in tears. “He’s my twin brother, we’re the closest people we have in our lives,” Prestinni said while trying to fight back his own tears. “I don’t want to go into detail but it’s an amazing feeling. To be underrated all this time and do something major without him and prove that I don’t need anyone in particular, is a really good feeling.” Reacting to his team’s heartbreaking defeat, Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez didn’t comment on Chicago’s shortcomings at the event, nor did he comment on their performance in that particular series. Rather, he encapsulated his feelings by simply stating it was a “beautiful moment.” Brotherly love. It’s more than just a game. @Arcitys @Prestinni pic.twitter.com/DogkylKOiz — OpTic Texas (@OpTicTexas) February 23, 2020 Having just commentated over the lengthy series alongside Joseph ‘MerK’ DeLuca, Clint ‘Maven’ Evans expressed how he “couldn’t be happier for Prestinni” to pull off the upset. “Love that guy. An amazing win for Florida.” Former Call of Duty coach and caster Matthew ‘Mr X’ Morello also chimed in and shared his appreciation in the moment, outlining how the twins were “two of [his] favorite players to ever cover.” Taking a more sarcastic approach, a number of players and commentators shared their thoughts on the emotional family affair. “If my brother said that to me we are going backstage and having a 1v1 and he’s 100% getting Batista Bombed,” Bradley ‘Wuskinz’ Marshall joked, knowing all too well what it is like to compete against his brother on the biggest stages. What a series. I couldn’t be happier for Prestinni. Love that guy. So f** sloppy, it’s embarrassing. Just pathetic.” It’s only a matter of time until these squads face off once again and Arcitys gets a chance at revenge over his twin brother. Both Chicago and Florida will be in attendance at the Dallas Empire homestand event on March 28, where the teams could line up for a second time this year.

CoD community overwhelmingly in favor of delaying 2023 Treyarch release – Dexerto
CoD community overwhelmingly in favor of delaying 2023 Treyarch release ActivisionWith reports of the 2023 Call of Duty release being delayed, the CoD community has voted overwhelmingly in support of Treyarch taking an extra year to complete their game. Reports first broke out in early 2022 that the upcoming title could span across two years as opposed to the usual one, with Activision seemingly set to forego the annual release cycle for the first time in almost twenty years. It’s something that many Call of Duty fans have called for for years, especially the competitive community that has to learn a new game every November, and the pros and cons of switching to a bi-annual cycle have been debated heavily, especially since the announcement. The public have had their vote in a poll, though, and it shows that they’re huge fans of letting the 2022 release — reportedly titled Modern Warfare 2 — ride out for even longer. On February 26, CharlieINTEL posted to Twitter asking players how they felt about the possibility of getting no premium Call of Duty release in 2023. Read More: All Call of Duty creator codes – As debate raged on in their replies, they posted a poll simply asking whether the community whether they believe the change to be a good thing or a bad thing — and the disparity was monumental. According to the poll, almost 20,000 votes later, approximately 92% of the community believe that the delay of CoD 2023 is a good thing for the franchise. As Squintaye said — and with many comments echoing the same sentiment — it’s a good thing “if they actually use that time to get things right.” “The yearly model is already obsolete,” they added. “If anything they should consider making CoD Online in the States and have studios rotate on making content every 2 years.” Good thing if they actually use that time to get things right across the board. The yearly model is already obsolete. If anything they should consider making cod online in the states and have studios rotate on making content every 2 years. — Squintaye (@Squintaye) February 26, 2022 Others weren’t so optimistic. ‘The Postman’ said “the way MW19 was made and how dog water that game was makes me severely doubt MW22 will be a good game to play for 2 days let alone 2 years.” I want it to be a good thing. I really do. But the way MW19 was made and how dog water that game was makes me severely doubt MW22 will be a good game to play for 2 days let alone 2 years — The Postman 📫 (@KingOf1nsAniTy) February 26, 2022 While some have argued that dropping the annual release cycle could signal the slow demise of Call of Duty, there’s clearly a huge desire to see a slight slowdown in CoD content. Whether this becomes a regular thing, and the yearly cycle is gone forever, remains to be seen.

CoD community goes crazy over Modern Warfare’s new “Tiger King” skin – Dexerto
CoD community goes crazy over Modern Warfare’s new “Tiger King” skin Netflix/Infinity WardAs Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’s popularity soared on Netflix following the series debut in April, a new skin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has sparked a discussion among fans thinking it’s based off John Finlay. John Finlay is Joe Exotic’s ex-husband and is recognizable for his buzzcut, and body tattoos which were shown off in interviews. Now, Modern Warfare’s Season 3 Battle Pass has a new skin for the operator Yegor, and it looks eerily like John Finlay, tattoos and all. The skin even has a gold chain around Yegor’s neck, just as Finlay wore on the program. That said, it doesn’t look like Yegor is missing any teeth, though a good clean headshot on the battlefield could certainly change that. CoD community calls for permanent bans against Modern Warfare hackers – Dexerto
CoD community calls for permanent bans against Modern Warfare hackers Call of Duty players are having a hard time dealing with the constant flow of hackers cropping up in Modern Warfare, and some people are at their wits end trying to enjoy the game. Just a few months after launch, Modern Warfare’s Ground War, among other playlists, has been littered with players cheating in-game. Some of the more notable instances are people who hide just out of the playing area’s bounds for easy kills, or under-the-map hackers. For many players, they feel like they’re signing up into a losing cause since these cheaters can sometimes be found in a string of games. The tension has reached a boiling point with many, seeing as a post with a 95% upvote rating, at the time of writing, in the Modern Warfare subreddit calls for the permanent ban on hackers the moment these cheats are patched. “It’s seriously difficult to understate how much these abusers have disrupted normal Ground War lobbies,” user ‘RonPaulWasWrong’ said. “Every single lobby has one of these d**kheads.” They go on to describe their experiences coming across Ground War hackers, with the cheaters who are successfully “dropping nukes without ever being shot, or summoning in never-ending VTOL/Chopper Gunners/AC130s that completely sway the balance of power completely in their team’s favor.” It’s been a struggle for many honest players who’ve had potential Nuke streaks ruined, or favorable games marred by multiple cheaters in a single lobby. “No mercy, no forgiveness,” the user said. “Ban these f**king assholes without remorse and get them the f**k out of this community. No-one is doing this accidentally.” The post generated a lot of traction with other community members who have similarly been on the receiving end of hackers in Modern Warfare. “Seriously it’s disgusting people are even doing this,” Reddit user ‘DREAD1217’ said. “Ran into a guy doing it twice and he was even posting videos of him doing the exploit on his Xbox profile. These people ruin the game for everyone else who are just trying to have fun.” Even though players were doubtful that developers Infinity Ward would actually ban accounts, cutting off possible streams of revenue, some had hilarious ways of punishing the MW cheaters by making “their operator a permanent clown.” Regardless, it seems like the Modern Warfare community is pushing for some kind of resolution regarding hackers, less the game’s multiplayer become overrun with cheaters like past Call of Duty titles.

CoD coach latest to accuse former Denial Esports owner of payment chargebacks – Dexerto
CoD coach latest to accuse former Denial Esports owner of payment chargebacks CWL / Zach Smith – TwitterThe ex-owner of the now defunct Denial Esports organization has been accused again of charging back payments, this time by their former Call of Duty coach Mickhail ‘Blfire’ Glushenok. On June 24, Blfire posted a screenshot on Twitter showing that his PayPal account had a negative balance in excess of $2,000. In the caption of the tweet, the former pro player blamed the overdrawn balance on Zachary Smith, the one-time owner and CEO of Denial Esports, alleging that he had charged back some payments. “We love chargebacks,” he tweeted. “Shoutout to Zachary A. Smith, AKA 6’5″ fully tatted Denial owner. I’m getting fully tatted and squaring up when I see him.” We love chargebacks shoutout to Zachary A. Smith aka 6’ 5” fully tatted Denial owner. I’m getting fully tatted and squaring up when I see him. pic.twitter.com/wRMjURJkwb — Mike (@Blfire) June 24, 2019 Speaking exclusively with Dexerto, Blfire revealed that the charged back payments in question were money he was owed previously, as well as his first month’s salary. He also posted a follow-up tweet stating that he had kept silent on this hoping that Smith would eventually reimburse him, which apparently hasn’t turned out to be the case. I kept silent about this for awhile thinking he was a man of his word but instead he changed his number and deactivated his Twitter. I’m not the only one who got charged back, other players have way larger amounts charged back than I do 7k+ etc so this isn’t too bad. — Mike (@Blfire) June 24, 2019 This isn’t the first time that a former member has accused Denial Esports of charging back on payments. On May 28, CoD player Jason ‘Prophet’ Nicoletti posted a similar tweet of his own, claiming that Smith had disputed a payment that had been made out to him several months prior. Gears of War players FraNChiS and Icy, both of whom have played for Denial in the past, also made similar allegations against a “previous org,” which was later confirmed by a community manager to have been Denial. Smith, however, denied intentionally charging back any payments, instead claiming that his credit card company had flagged the transactions as “suspicious activities” and disputed them. The demise of Denial Esports Following a hiatus from esports due to financial issues, Denial made its way back into the spotlight in early 2019 after having made major changes to its leadership and internal structure. However, things began to go south again when one of their CoD players from this year, Nathan ‘Natshay’ Dupuis, accused the org of not paying player salaries, which was followed by Overtime eSport claiming that Denial never paid them for them for their CWL Pro League spot. Facing increasing pressure from former players and public scrutiny, the organization ended up shutting down on May 31, the same day Smith went on a ballistic rant on Twitter leveling major insults against those he felt were responsible for the org’s demise. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest on this story as more information becomes available.

CoD cheat seller mocks Activision data breach by promising security for hackers – Dexerto
CoD cheat seller mocks Activision data breach by promising security for hackers ActivisionA notorious Call of Duty cheater seller is mocking Activision’s serious data breach by using it to advertise the security of their own software. Cheating in Call of Duty games like Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 has been a major talking point in the community for years, with players constantly dealing with hackers in their lobbies. From aimbots to wall hacks, there’s no shortage of ways for cheaters to gain an unfair upper hand, despite efforts by Activision to stop them through the use of anti-cheat. Now, a recent Activision data breach has allegedly resulted in the personal info of employees including their names, job titles, and phone numbers being leaked, and cheat sellers are using this to their advantage. CoD cheat company uses Activision data breach to advertise hacks In a post on social media, infamous cheat seller EngineOwning commented on the woes at Activision, stating the company failed to notify their employees and “does not consider their data as sensitive.” According to the cheat seller, they take one’s security seriously and will be implementing more ways to keep their customers’ data private. “EngineOwning is committed to (the) highest security and privacy protocols, we will soon publish everything we are doing to keep your data safe,” they said. This latest shot is sure to rub Activision the wrong way. It may even result in the company doubling its efforts to stop hackers now that things are a bit more personal, but the game company has still scored some wins in this feud. The comments come just days after a judge ruled that EngineOwning must pay $3 million in damages to Activision after “high-profile” streamers used Warzone cheats.

CoD cheat provider EngineOwning hit with $14 million fine in Activision lawsuit – Dexerto
CoD cheat provider EngineOwning hit with $14 million fine in Activision lawsuit ActivisionActivision’s lawsuit against prominent FPS cheat providers EngineOwning has resulted in a $14 million fine two years after the publisher began pursuing legal action. Another widely-utilized cheat provider has been snuffed out. EngineOwning is no more, with the German-based company owing Activision $14,465,600 in statutory damages, along with an extra $292,912 in attorney fees. This result came by way of a May 20 hearing as Activision’s motion was granted in the United States District Court. The lawsuit was initially filed on January 4, 2022, before an amendment on September 16, 2022. Two years later, the publishing giant has won its case. Not only does the crew behind the cheating operation owe millions in damages, but Activision is also entitled to seize full control of the “illicit enterprise,” including the company’s domain name. EngineOwning was among the most prominent cheat-providing services in recent years, with users able to purchase software to cheat in a wide range of CoD games including Warzone, not to mention other titles like Halo Infinite, and had even completed work on an Overwatch 2 cheat program. Although the CoD publisher implemented its own anti-cheat software (RICOCHET) at the tail end of 2021, EngineOwning, among others, continues to find workarounds, allowing thousands of pesky players to cheat their way to the top. As a result, Activision pursued legal action in early 2022, claiming the cheat providers had caused “millions of dollars” in damages. Not only were regular players exposed as part of the lawsuit, but Activision also alleged a number of ‘high-profile’ content creators had also been uncovered as having used the cheating software. Now, with the operation at its end, those responsible for all aspects of the EngineOwning operation were named in the lawsuit and have to answer for over $14 million in damages. “Ordinarily, such a large sum of money at stake would weigh in favor of Defendants,” the court proceeding outlined. “But the Court has’ wide discretion in determining the amount of statutory damages to be awarded. “Here, the Court deems the amount of requested damages reasonable, given that Plaintiff alleges that Defendants have acted willfully.”

CoD cheat makers targeted by hackers trying to steal player passwords – Dexerto
CoD cheat makers targeted by hackers trying to steal player passwords ActivisionCall of Duty cheat makers have been the target of a malware campaign with hackers stealing player passwords. On March 27, an X account called vx-underground detailed how a malware campaign is currently being executed. It claimed a CoD cheat provider, PhantomOverlay, was alerted of “fraudulent activity” on its user’s accounts and further claimed there are thousands of victims. Activision soon released a statement about the campaign, saying its servers are “secure and uncompromised.” “There have been claims that some player credentials across the broader industry could be compromised from malware from downloading or using unauthorized software,” an Activision Spokesperson told Dexerto. The hackers’ goal for this campaign has not been revealed and no one has claimed the hack on social media at the time of writing. So far, many of the users impacted were using cheats. The Activision Spokesperson told Dexerto that players who think their computer has installed malware should change their password and activate two-factor authentication. This incident comes on the heels of a massive hack targeting professional Apex Legends players during a match. That hack was quickly claimed by the perpetrator, and Apex developer Respawn has since put out a statement about the incident.

CoD Champs – Epic Winners Bracket Final set for Championship Sunday – Dexerto
CoD Champs – Epic Winners Bracket Final set for Championship Sunday SCUF GamingThe Winners Bracket Final at the CWL Championship 2019 is now set, and it will feature two of the best teams in Call of Duty esports – OpTic Gaming vs eUnited. Considering that both OpTic Gaming and eUnited came into this week as two of the favorites to win the $2 million tournament, it doesn’t come as a major surprise that they’ve made it this far relatively unscathed. However, while this may be a classic case of an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, something has to give, as only one of these two powerhouse squads can advance to the Grand Final. As far as previous matches go for this season, OpTic hold a 4-2 edge over eUnited, as well as a 13-8 map advantage. One of those wins came in the Grand Final of CWL Vegas, which saw the Green Wall sweep to secure their lone championship so far this season. Read More: LG among 6 Champs teams eliminated on day 4 – However, eU’s rosters was different back then, and since promoting Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr to the lineup, they’ve been operating like a well-oiled machine, taking two out of the three matches with a combined map count of 7-4. That said, let’s take a look at how both of these squads have gotten to this point in the tournament. eUnited look as strong as ever eUnited have picked up right where they left off following their win at CWL Finals, and look virtually unbeatable going into the match against OpTic. After going 3-0 in pool play, and dropping only two maps, the boys in blue sped through the first three rounds of the Winners Bracket, beating Team WaR, Evil Geniuses, and UNITS. They survived a bit of a scare against EG, who took them to a game five, but whatever issues they had were quickly fixed as they demolished UNITS 3-0. There’s no question that the star of the show against UNITS was Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr, who put in a series of a lifetime in the semifinals. :scream::scream::scream: THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!!! @SimpXO #CWLPS4 | #CWLChamps pic.twitter.com/gmNyOTWv9K — Call of Duty World League (@CODWorldLeague) August 17, 2019 OpTic charge forward with an iron fist Unlike eUnited, OpTic came into Champs having a lot to prove, after their disastrous performance at CWL Finals where they did not even pick up a single map win. However, so far this tournament, the surge of the Green Wall has been very much present, as they went 3-0 in pool play and have beaten Team Heretics, Enigma6, and Team Reciprocity all 3-1 in the Winners Bracket. OpTic & ROKKR Winners Final? COD Champs predictions | CDL Reverse Sweep Preview Show – Dexerto
OpTic & ROKKR Winners Final? COD Champs predictions | CDL Reverse Sweep Preview Show DexertoThis year’s Call of Duty League Championship event is finally here and with matches just about to get underway, our Reverse Sweep crew of Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, Katie Bedford, and special guest Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo-Palmer are here to preview the final Cold War tournament. For the CDL’s top eight teams, just one final showcase is all the remains in the 2021 season. After months of grinding, the biggest CoD event of the year is finally upon us as Champs is mere hours away. The four-day event kicks off with two upper bracket and two lower bracket games, with the likes of LA Thieves and Florida Mutineers having just one life from the very beginning. $1.2 million is up for grabs for the winning squad but the path won’t be easy. To preview the monumental event and make their predictions, our Reverse Sweep crew is back to give you the rundown on Champs. Clayster returns for NYSL’s Champs run After taking a break throughout Stage 5, Clayster is officially back in the mix for Champs. The veteran has seen and done it all throughout his illustrious career, including victories at three Champs events. But can he lead yet another squad to the finish line? “If [NYSL] has any chance of making a run, it had to be with Clay,” SiLLY argued. Although the break came at a challenging time, it may have been “really good” for the team before one final push. “I’m glad he’s back,” the fellow world champ added. Quick shout out to @Diamondcon_ Missed both CDL & Challengers Champs as a spot starter for @Subliners, while still posting a 0.99 K/D this season. Consummate professional 👏 pic.twitter.com/sqC9eEgoag — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) August 13, 2021 “To give them a legitimate chance at winning this thing, it has to be with Clay,” Pacman agreed. Though Enable wasn’t exactly on the same page. While he believes NYSL has more potential with Clay in the lineup, he’s also concerned “the floor is a lot lower.” With barely a few days of practice upon his return, no one knows how the New York lineup looks with Clay ahead of their biggest event yet. Will OpTic finally reach their potential in Cold War at Champs? While Clay’s return highlights one side of the stage, NYSL finds themselves against OpTic in their opening series. Could this finally be where the Green Wall stands tall? “On the biggest stage of the year, you expect the big dogs to do great,” SiLLY explained. With OpTic clearly the fan favorites going into Champs, he’s confident this will be “their best event of the year.” https://twitter.com/DexertoIntel/status/1427411037918318592 Coming off an impressive showing in Stage 5, their “best of the year,” according to Enable, his expectations are high as well. Though they have their work cut out for them. A win against NYSL drops them right into a series against FaZe. If OpTic is to make the winners finals, they’ll have to take down this year’s best team on the way. Can ROKKR win back to back LAN events? After their historic reverse sweep to close out the Stage 5 Major, it’s safe to say ROKKR has all the momentum on their side heading into Champs. But is one good performance enough to invoke confidence in our Reverse Sweep crew? “Their [Stage 5 Major] was kind of ridiculous,” Pacman said. “It’s hard to call it a fluke because they beat everyone.” If they can carry that energy forward, Champs could very well be theirs for the taking. But while they “have all the momentum,” predicting them as Champs winners is still a “shot in the dark” from SiLLY’s point of view. Players to watch at Champs A total of 12 games are set to be played throughout the full Champs event. At a maximum, any team from the upper bracket can play in six of those games. But which players will stand out on the run and push their team towards the top? For SiLLY, it has to be the returning Clayster. “He’s back in the mix, he’s back on LAN with the fans, it’s his environment,” the veteran explained. “I’m expecting him to fry.” Meanwhile, Pacman couldn’t pick against the most successful player in CoD history, Dallas Empire’s Crimsix. “I feel like Dallas is gonna win Champs so I’m going with Crimsix. Crim played a pretty average Modern Warfare season but at Champs he just turned up. He knows what to do when it matters.” “People are gonna say I’m biased,” Enable chimed in, before once again backing his boys in the LA Thieves. While they start in the losers bracket already, Enable wants to see Kenny “step up and be that superstar” throughout a huge run to the finals. CDL Champs 2021 opening matchup predictions The CDL Champs 2021 winner kit includes… black forces. May the most nefarious team win 😈 pic.twitter.com/eGS5ewDnWi — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) August 13, 2021 To get the biggest show of the year underway, we have four huge games set for the first day – two in the upper bracket and two in the lower bracket. This means two squads will be sent packing before Champs weekend even begins. The very first series pits ROKKR against Empire in what’s sure to be a barnburner. Both Pacman and Enable sided with Empire to get the opening win, while SiLLY picked the Stage 5 winners in ROKKR. Next up is the highly anticipated NYSL vs OpTic matchup. For this one, all three Reverse Sweep panelists are in favor of the Green Wall. “I don’t think OpTic is gonna lose first round and go into loser’s at Champs,” SiLLY explained. Bold predictions for the final Cold War event After a year of shocking upsets and surprising events, it’s only fitting that Champs could be the most unpredictable competition yet. “I’ve been gassing Minnesota with my bold predictions all year long,” Enable stressed, now ready to “flip the script” on them. “Minnesota loses to Empire, they fall down to LA Thieves, lose to LA Thieves, pack your bags,” he said. Meanwhile, Pacman joked that the “only big upset” in the entire Champs bracket is “Mutineers winning a match.” Therefore, his hot take is that Ultra will lose two games in a row and have their year come to an unceremonious end. “I’ve got an OpTic vs ROKKR winners finals for my bold prediction,” SiLLY added. Which CDL team will win Champs 2021? TOMORROW: The beginning of the end for the #CDL2021 season. Who’s HYPED for Champs? 🏆 pic.twitter.com/k2lPWEIo47 — Call of Duty League (@CODLeague) August 18, 2021 Last but not least, the Reverse Sweep hosts made their final predictions for the year. When all is said and done, who will be walking away with a shiny new Champs ring on their finger? “I’ve got Dallas and FaZe running it back in the finals again,” Pacman said. But to pick one true winner, he has Empire winning their second Champs event in a row. “If I had to pick, I feel like FaZe just doesn’t let that happen again,” SiLLY countered. While the final showdown might be the same as last year, he can’t see FaZe falling short twice. “I feel like the easy answer is always just FaZe,” Enable added. “They’re the best team this year by far. I’m going FaZe vs Toronto in the finals. I know it’s not a hot take but I want to see them get a win and secure their dynasty.”

CoD Champs: OpTic’s Dashy and TJHaLy destroy Enigma6 with insane killing sprees – Dexerto
CoD Champs: OpTic’s Dashy and TJHaLy destroy Enigma6 with insane killing sprees MLG / CWL – InstagramProfessional Call of Duty players Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly put on a show for OpTic Gaming against Enigma6 at the CWL Championship 2019. One of the biggest reasons that OpTic Gaming came into CWL Champs as one of the favorites to win it all is because they have both Dashy and TJHaLy on their roster. Considered to be OpTic’s best players this season, the two young stars have brought their A-game to the $2 million tournament, putting up impressive numbers through the first four days. As it would turn out, both ended up having their signature moment of the weekend on the same map of the same match – the game one Seaside Hardpoint against Enigma6 in the second round of the Winners Bracket. Just after the midway point of the map, they gave OpTic the separation it needed by pulling off two masterclass killing sprees against an overwhelmed E6 side. Dashy got the ball rolling with a mindblowing penta-kill, singlehandedly wiping out E6’s entire team in one powerful spree of dominance. E6 were just about to break the fountain Hardpoint, after seemingly taking down all of the OpTic defenders, but they had forgotten about the one man that should always be kept track of. As if one insane killing spree wasn’t enough, his teammate TJ would pull off an equally impressive set of eliminations in just the next Hardpoint rotation. After only getting one kill with his War Machine in the wine cellar, he pulled out the melt machine otherwise known as the Saug 9mm SMG to mow his way through six more E6 players. CoD Champs in London? H3CZ, Adam Ap & more want UK to host “best event of all time” Unsplash: bendavisual/ActivisionThere is still no announcement on a location and date for the Call of Duty: Vanguard Championship Weekend — but members of the CoD community have their hearts set on returning to a beloved destination. London never disappoints when hosting Call of Duty tournaments. CWL Birmingham 2018, CWL London 2019, and the London Royal Ravens home matches in 2020 garnered electric crowds that created unforgettable moments in Call of Duty history. After an understandable hiatus from hosting events in 2021, members of the Call of Duty community are ready to fly back across the pond and embrace the London faithful for CoD Vanguard’s largest tournament of the 2022 season. Toronto recently hosted Vanguard’s Major 3 event and it was very well received by the players, coaches, and commentators that attended. The success of the Toronto Major sparked intense lobbying for London to host Vanguard’s Championship Weekend tournament, especially given their raucous events in the past. What are the odds that Sweet Caroline comes on, it’s never an event without Neil Diamond… pic.twitter.com/J5z7chLRl3 — LewTee (@LewTeeCoD) May 5, 2019 OpTic HECZ, and others lobby for CoD Champs in London London hosted a CWL event in 2019 at the Copper Box Arena, and as seen above, the London fans know how to put on a spectacular Call of Duty event. They also hosted a Home Series there in 2020 during Modern Warfare. OpTic Creative Director Hitch tweeted on June 7 that “CoD Champs in London would be a madting,” and Esports Engine Program Operations member Ben Nissim responded in a now-deleted tweet, saying that “from this end, we have been actively pushing as best we can to make this happen at some point. I think we all agree it would be an all-time event.” COD Champs in London would be a mad ting bruv. i’d be chuffed to bits — OpTic Hitch (@hitchariide) June 7, 2022 CoD commentator Miles Ross tweeted an image of returning home in London after casting Major 3, and OpTic Texas CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez responded by saying: “Champs in London would be lit.” Co-Founder of Esports Engine Adam Apicella also replied to Ross’ tweet in a now-deleted post, stating: “I’ve been lobbying for this. We have a massive studio over there and a growing team. We could run a banger in a stadium.” CoD on-air personality Anthony ‘Nameless’ Wheeler also claimed that a London Champs “would be the best event of all time.” The demand for CoD Champs in London is there, but whether or not it becomes a reality still remains to be seen. We will provide an update when an official date and location for the Call of Duty Championship is revealed.

CoD Champs 2019: eUnited & FaZe dominate, Gen.G & LG shocked – day one recap – Dexerto
CoD Champs 2019: eUnited & FaZe dominate, Gen.G & LG shocked – day one recap Day one of Pool Play at the CWL Championship 2019 came to an end on August 14, fill with the intense competition that only a major Call of Duty tournament can produce. Pool Play at CWL Champs takes place over the first two days of the five-day competition, with the top two teams in each of the eight groups advancing to the Knockout Stage. While we may be only one day into the $2 million tournament, there have already been several major developments involving some high-profile teams. Below, you can find the major storylines from day one of Champs, including the teams that are hot, those that are not, and the squads that have already been eliminated. Remember, you can always keep up with all of the action live by visiting our dedicated CWL Championship 2019 hub, which includes four livestreams, scores, Pool standings, and more. This ultimate prize awaits the final team left standing at Champs. eUnited and FaZe Clan start off hot It hasn’t come as much of a surprise that both eUnited and FaZe Clan have dominated their matches thus far in Pool Play, considering that both came into Champs among the favorites to hoist the grand trophy at the end. eU defeated RBL eSports and top seeded amateur team Celtic FC Esports with a combined map count of 6-1, already stamping their ticket to the Knockout Stage. Read More: Toronto’s CoD franchise announces GM – Similarly, FaZe went a combined 6-2 against Animosity and Mazer Gaming, also advancing to bracket play. In addition, both Enigma6 Group (Pool B) and UNITS (Pool C) also confirmed a top-two finish within their respective groups, both going 2-0 in their first two matches. CWL Finals winners eUnited are looking dangerous at Champs 2019. Tough times for Gen.G and Luminosity It wouldn’t be a proper CoD Champs without some heavy duty upsets early on, and this year’s tournament has already featured some shocking results for both Gen.G and LG. There is no doubt that Gen.G have the worst story between the two, as their shocking defeats to the two amateur teams in Pool B have already eliminated them from the competition, making them the highest seed ever (#2) to be knocked out this early. Read More: FormaL explains why OpTic’s CoD dynasty fell – As for LG, they were on the wrong end of a massive upset sweep of their own at the hands of Team Singularity, putting them in a precarious situation going into day two. While Matt ‘ForrmaL’ Piper and company still have it all to play for, margins for error are now razor thin, and that 0-3 result could end up coming back to haunt them if tiebreakers end up coming into play. After back-to-back second-place finishes at CWL Anaheim and Finals, Gen.G are shockingly out of Champs on day one. Several teams already eliminated from Champs 2019 Because the schedule for Champs was constructed in a way to allow several teams to play two matches on day one, there are already a handful who mathematically have no way of finishing in the top two spots of their respective groups. In addition to Gen.G’s stunning elimination, RBL Esports, LDNG Status, Animosity eSports, and Mazer Gaming have all also been eliminated, with the latter two both being from Pool C. They will be joined by a further 11 teams who will be going home early, and that list of squads will be determined after the second day of Pool Play. You can check out all of the scores from today’s matches below: Day two of Pool Play kicks off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST on Thursday, August 15.

CoD Challengers players lash out over “ridiculous” Finals prize split – Dexerto
CoD Challengers players lash out over “ridiculous” Finals prize split Activision Blizzard[jwplayer EKw2S6e2]Call of Duty Challengers players have erupted across social media, claiming that the prize pool split for the biggest tournament of the year is unacceptable. Challengers players have been treated to regular online competitions throughout the Modern Warfare cycle. Each major region is able to participate in frequent Challengers Cups along with Open events. All of these tournaments have been building towards the prestigious Championship event in August. The final event of the competitive cycle comes boasting the biggest collective prize pool thus far at $500,000 USD. This is then split across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. However, players immediately started criticizing how funds were divided after the official announcement on July 14. More teams than ever before will be walking away with a good chunk of change. The top 24 in NA and EU along with the top 12 in APAC will all be rewarded. Taking away from the potential earnings of those at the top of each region and leaving a poor impression on those that have been grinding all year long. $250,000 is up for grabs in the biggest region as NA players battle it out. Players have taken issue with how this money has been allocated, however. In every Cup and Open event throughout the year, only the top four NA teams have made it ‘into the money.’ With the Finals event money will now run down all the way through to the 24th placed team instead. Rosters that have been highly competitive all year are essentially seeing a good chunk of change taken from them and given to teams that perform far worse. Naturally, Challengers players lashed out at this prize pool split. “In all seriousness though can we stop giving out participation medals and make the prize bigger at the top?” Steven “Stamino” Damiano of Team Vengeance pleaded. “T24 in an [amateur] bracket is ridiculous and should not be rewarded.” Only 32 teams will actually be allowed to compete in the NA region Finals. 24 of which will qualify with Pro Points earned throughout the year. While an additional eight will make their way through a separate ‘Last Chance Qualifier’ event. This means that only eight teams in total will walk away empty-handed. Winning just a handful of maps could put your team in the money without much difficulty. In all seriousness though can we stop giving out participation medals and make the prize bigger at the top? T24 in an AM bracket is ridiculous and should not be rewarded — Stam (@Stamino_) July 14, 2020 “Don’t like complaining, but top 10 getting paid out for APAC Champs has got to be a joke right?” Australian player Kerrin ‘Crimzah’ Tuner said. Competing under the Renegades banners, Crimzah and his team have dominated the APAC region all year long. Winning every single Cup and Open event. Fewer than 30 teams even participated in the last online tournament. Despite this, 12 rosters will still be able to come away from the final event with cash in hand. Players that have been working all year are adamant this money should be weighted more heavily towards teams at the top of the local scene. Seattle Surge Head Coach Joey ‘Nubzy’ DiGiacomo even put together his own version of a prize pool split in light of the backlash. His version was much more rewarding for the successful teams. Effectively doubling the take for the top NA team while cutting down to just six teams being in the money in APAC. Just a visual I crafted up of what the Challenger finals prize pool could look like if NA and EU paid to T8, and APAC paid to T6. Just my opinion, lmk if my math is off. pic.twitter.com/ztaWEnXXt8 — Joey (@JoeyNubzy) July 14, 2020 The final Challengers event of the Modern Warfare cycle is still a ways off. Last Chance Qualifiers don’t begin until August 1 and the actual Finals start a fortnight later on August 15. There’s still plenty of time for the tournament organizers to take player feedback into consideration and change the prizing split. As teams gear up for the biggest event of the year, here’s our overview of how the latest Challengers tournament played out.

CoD Challengers players blast “unacceptable” ticket scalping – Dexerto
CoD Challengers players blast “unacceptable” ticket scalping Call of Duty LeagueCoD Challengers players attempted to buy CDL Major 1 Team Passes so their teams could compete in the Challengers Open, but ticket scalping presented an unwarranted roadblock. Members of the CDL community have been outspoken in their disapproval of Activision’s handling of esports. For instance, OpTic H3CZ claimed Activision “gave up” on preparing MW2 for the CDL 2023 season, and the developers changed the CDL map rotation after massive backlash from pros. The first MW2 Call of Duty Challengers Cup event was also delayed because of CDL ruleset issues. The Call of Duty League is again facing scrutiny, as ticket scalpers allegedly purchased most of the Major 1 Challengers Team passes and are reselling them for upwards of $1000. CoD Challengers players call out ticket scalping Esports.gg reported, “many challengers players in the Call of Duty Scene are upset due to scalpers buying the majority of team passes and reselling them for $1000 plus.” The tweet included screenshots of numerous member of the CoD challengers scene making these claims. Pro CoD player “FeLo,” claimed, “I’m actually astonished. I’ve been competing for almost a decade, and this is the first time I can safely say I might not attend an event because of a “Team Pass.” Prominent CoD Challengers player “Hamza” stated, “Most of the top seeds in NA and EU can’t even purchase a team pass. Can we each get a reserved team pass, as we have had in the past? This issue shouldn’t even be a thing.” We will provide an update if the Call of Duty League responds to the allegations of ticket scalping.

CoD casters Merk & Maven to miss CDL Kickoff Classic amid 2022 contract issues – Dexerto
CoD casters Merk & Maven to miss CDL Kickoff Classic amid 2022 contract issues MLG / CDLCall of Duty casting duo Merk and Maven are set to miss the CDL Kickoff Classic for the second straight year as contract negotiations continue. The CDL preseason is scheduled to begin on January 21 with the CDL Kickoff Classic. This event will feature all 12 teams in a single-elimination bracket on LAN. However, two of the league’s most beloved casters, Joe ‘Merk’ DeLuca and Clint ‘Maven’ Evans will not be part of the broadcast team for the tournament as contract issues lurk. CDL casters Merk & Maven won’t be at Kickoff Classic “”Unless something magical changes,”” @JoeDeLuca and @Maven won’t be casting the CDL Kickoff Classic? 😬 pic.twitter.com/N6lboHJpgD — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) January 17, 2022 In a Twitch stream on January 17, Merk broke the sad news the CDL fans everywhere that the duo will not be at the preseason event “unless something magical changes.” This marks the second straight season that Merk and Maven will not be casting the CDL Kickoff Classic. The casting duo has been trying to work with the CDL on renewing their contract for the Vanguard season but it seems those talks have stalled out. Back on January 6, fellow streamer Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow asked if Merk was set for this upcoming CDL season. He said that they were not signed for this season but that they were still under contract due to the date that it was signed. It seems that now, their contracts have expired and nothing has been done since then to ensure that the two will be part of the CDL 2022 year. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t work something out before the regular season starts on February 4. This could make sense considering they missed out on last year’s preseason matches but were signed for the regular season. We will update you on their status when more information becomes available. For now, you can stay updated on all CDL news by visiting our page.

CoD caster Benson no longer with CDL amid “misconduct” rumors – Dexerto
CoD caster Benson no longer with CDL amid “misconduct” rumors DexertoCall of Duty caster Ben ‘Benson’ Bowie has confirmed that he is no longer with Activision or the Call of Duty League. In a Tweet on July 14, Benson announced that he was “no longer” in his roles at Activision and the CDL, but couldn’t divulge more due to advice from legal council. “Hey friends, in case it is not clear, I’m no longer with Activision & the CDL!” the caster wrote. “Unfortunately, I can’t say much due to advice from legal council (that should tell you everything).” However, Bowie likewise claimed that the past week “has been the best week of my life, hands down,” and promised more information soon. Hey friends, in case it is not clear, I’m no longer with Activision & the CDL! Unfortunately I cant say much due to advice from legal council (that should tell you everything) What I can say is, the past week has been the best week of my life, hands down. More info coming soon! — Ben ‘Benson’ Bowe (@Benson_EU) July 14, 2020 The caster’s step down from the CDL comes in wake of the firing of fellow caster Philip ‘Momo’ Whitfield, who was released from the company due to inappropriate text messages he’d sent to women in the scene. While Benson himself has not confirmed the reason for his parting with the CDL, a post on Reddit has claimed that he was let go for similar reasons to Momo. Esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau said on a podcast on July 13 that another CDL caster had been let go due to similar reasons as in the Momo case, immediately sparking speculation. The Reddit post was made by Emilia Rose, a competitive Call of Duty player, who was one of the women who reported Momo. Although she says that she did not also report Benson, she claims “he was definitely let go from the CDL for similar reasons to Momo.” On July 1, Benson tweeted that he had received “an incredible offer” – his first indication that he was moving on from casting the CDL. Yesterday was full of emotion. I got an incredible offer to top it off — Ben ‘Benson’ Bowe (@Benson_EU) July 1, 2020 Benson was one of the most prominent casters on CDL broadcasts, and had also casted for Activision prior to the franchised league, in the CWL (Call of Duty World League). He has been a Call of Duty caster since 2013, first with MLG. He has also worked on soccer broadcasts in the US.

CoD Cast Members Discuss What the ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Needs to Compete With Fortnite and PUBG – Dexerto
CoD Cast Members Discuss What the ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Needs to Compete With Fortnite and PUBG Various members of the ‘CoD Cast’ hosted by Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler discussed what the ‘Blackout’ Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 needs in order for it to succeed. With the success of titles such as Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in recent months, developers throughout the gaming industry have taken notice of the ‘Battle Royale’ genre in a big way. Fortnite has established itself as a worldwide phenomenon that has managed to bridge the gap between gaming and the mainstream media like no title before, along with becoming the most popular ‘free-to-play’ console game of all time after bringing in a staggering $223 million in the month of March alone. More: Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Reveal ‘Biggest Ever’ Claims Activision, Huge Viewing Figures and Pre-Orders Beating Last Year – Following the ‘Community Reveal Event’ for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in mid-May, it was announced that BO4 will include a Battle Royale mode titled ‘Blackout,’ featuring weapons, characters, and maps from past installations in one enormous area. When discussing the mode on the ‘CoD Cast,’ NAMELESS, Dylan ‘MadCat’ Daly, Joshua-Lee Sheppard, and Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall considered what Blackout requires in order to contend with Fortnite and PUBG, with MadCat suggesting how it needs something to ‘stand out.’ “The BR in Black Ops 4 needs something like the [Fortnite] building. Every BR is going to have kills and whatnot, but it needs its special own feature. Like, you’re driving in H1, you’re building in Fortnite – you need something special to bring to the table.” More: Splyce’s Bance Experiences the Strangest 1 vs. 1 Loss in History Against Envy’s Decemate in the CWL Pro League – NAMELESS later mentioned how if Blackout can bring a solid, first-person Battle Royale experience, it has the chance to be a huge hit down the line compared to separate games. “The one thing I will say is PUBG – a lot of people like that game, right, it’s a big hit – its first-person isn’t too good. The first-person in that game is kind of messed up, so if the first-person BR factor is dominant in CoD, that could be a really good thing for us. The full CoD Cast can be viewed below, with the ‘Blackout’ portion beginning at the 5:40 mark.

It brings new features in an attempt to keep COD’s battle royale mode fresh and exciting. Blackout’s New Game Mode On top of the solo, duo and quads mode for Call of Duty: Blackout, Treyarch have been introducing temporary modes. These have come alongside big updates and have included the likes of close-quarters, fast-collapse and ambush. Naturally opinions differ as to whether these modes are enjoyable or not. Nevertheless though, it is good to see Treyarch trying new modes. These playlists, along with regular changes to the map, will hopefully keep the player base as strong as it is now. Hot Pursuit The latest such game mode is Hot Pursuit, which comes with the introduction of Operation Grand Heist. There a numerous differences in this special mode compared to normal Blackout. Police Vehicles and Muscle Cars Firstly, the mode is themed around police cars and quasi-robbers. Police vehicles will show a UAV when sirens activated. Essentially it is the same as turning on a sensor dart which is stuck to the vehicle. There are also muscle cars which can detect stashes and supply drops. Supply stashes and drops are more frequent in this mode, also. These new additions add a welcomed dynamic whereby you can go on the hunt for premium loot or hunt down other players. Buckle Up. Chase down stashes in muscle cars or gain the advantage in sensor dart-enabled police cars in #BlackOps4’s new Blackout mode, Hot Pursuit, available now on PS4. pic.twitter.com/kWtpZB1CSz — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) February 23, 2019 Collapse and Respawns While the addition of new vehicles and the perks they offer are substantial, the changes to the collapse and the ability to respawn is perhaps a bigger game-changer. The collapse speed has increased, resulting in an even faster-paced game. In addition to this, the damage taken by being outside of the collapse has also increased. Previously being outside in the first circle wasn’t that damaging but now, unless you have a lot of health, can be deadly. Similar to the normal mode, the collapse damage doubles each round, with the first circle starting on three HP damage. Then there is also the addition of respawns. It goes against the concept of battle royale to have respawns but feedback has suggested it is a wanted, and arguably needed, addition. In Hot Pursuit, if you have at least one teammate still alive upon the completion of a given collapse round, then you will respawn. This is done by the usual method of gliding out of a helicopter. Therefore, you can choose whether to link up with your alive teammate(s) or go somewhere perhaps a little more tactical and safer. Official Patch Notes from Treyarch Treyarch have highlighted the features and changes in the official Black Ops 4 Operation Grand Heist patch notes. Hot Pursuit will be added to Xbox and PC soon (only available on PS4 currently). The patch notes are as follows: Hot Pursuit Hot Pursuit added as the Featured Playlist on PS4. – 3 new vehicles added: SUV, PBR, and Muscle Car, as well as police variants of the helicopter and ATV. – New vehicles have special abilities to give players a competitive advantage at the risk of greater exposure. Muscle Cars have the ability to spot nearby Supply Stashes and Supply Drops. – Police vehicles have built-in Sensor Dart functionality when their police sirens are activated, as well as the ability to detect enemy-occupied Muscle Cars. – – Supply Stashes and Supply Drops occur more frequently than normal. – Players respawn with each circle collapse as long as one teammate is still alive when the next Collapse occurs. Respawns are disabled at the final Collapse. – Last team standing wins the game. – – Prestige Addressed an issue where the “Battle Hardened” Calling Card would lock after Prestiging. – –

CoD: Black Ops reboot reportedly leaked: Multiplayer, zombies, campaign – Dexerto
CoD: Black Ops reboot reportedly leaked: Multiplayer, zombies, campaign ActivisionProminent Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution claims to have revealed information about Treyarch’s upcoming Black Ops reboot, possibly named Black Ops 5, covering multiplayer, zombies and campaign leaks. According to reports from multiple sources, Treyarch are taking Black Ops back to its roots. With Treyarch at the helm, and Sledgehammer/Raven Software taking a backseat in the development of Activision’s next Call of Duty, it would make sense to return back to familiar territory. And in a similar fashion to Infinity Ward, Treyarch look set to reboot their flagship franchise with a prequel of their own, according to the YouTuber. It should be noted that the information cannot be verified. Per TheGamingRevolution’s sources, Treyarch will be taking fans back to the Cold War era. Moreover, as YouTuber LongSensation claimed in August 2019, the narrative will span across the entirety of the four decades of the Cold War and will include both Vietnam and Korean Wars. https://twitter.com/LongSensationYT/status/1159077570912096261 Moreover, the next iteration in the series will utilize Infinity Ward’s brand-new game engine, which was developed for Modern Warfare. TheGamingRevolution reveals a lot of supposedly leaked information about the upcoming title in his March 18 video. Although this information is completely unconfirmed, the leaker does have a proven track record of accurate leaks about Modern Warfare, including the Gunfight mode and the battle royale, Warzone. Black Ops 5: Multiplayer leak Here’s the main points from TheGamingRevolution’s March 18 leak: Large player-count (32-vs-32) modes are returning. – There will be an ice-based map for Ground War (set in Vietnam), featuring snowmobiles and tanks as a mode of transport. – 6v6 maps will be three-lane maps and will resemble Treyarch’s style — “more formulaic and less cluttered.” – One six-vs-six map is based around a warehouse unit with an open field as the mid-lane – resembling ‘no-man’s land’ – and a sniper tower. – Health regeneration is not automatic (subject to playtester feedback). – UAV, Counter-UAV and dog killstreak returning. – Operators from Modern Warfare are also coming back. – Multiplayer DLC will be free, using a similar model to Modern Warfare. – No supply drops, per Activision’s new content model. – Black Ops 5: Zombies leak Set to feature different ways to play and will be different to previous versions of the fan-favorite mode. – But, perks (such as Pack-A-Punch) and other classic Zombies features will return. – TranZit will be back and available on disc. – Aether reboot is in the pipeline. – Chaos is not returning; set to be an entirely new story. – “More realistic and grounded” Zombies experience coming, as opposed to previous ‘fantasy’ versions. – Nothing set in stone, but Zombie ‘season pass’ is “in the works.” – Vietnam-based storyline. – Black Ops 5: Campaign leak Alex Mason and Sgt. Frank Woods are set to return, but with new actors. – New storyline will explore real-life events of the Cold War, but will thread into Black Ops’ existing narrative. – Alex Mason to feature in the first mission. – Campaign will be told from multiple perspectives, to tie in various storylines. – Alongside the plethora of information above, TheGamingRevolution stated that Sledgehammer are developing a free-to-play Call of Duty game that is set to be released in 2021. Perhaps this could be their venture into the battle royale market. While there is plenty of information on the development of Treyarch’s next title, LongSensation also revealed on March 17 that the next installment in the franchise “isn’t looking so great” — with the current global pandemic potentially playing its role in delaying any headway being made. https://twitter.com/LongSensationYT/status/1239988781727580161 While TheGamingRevolution has accurately leaked information pertaining to Call of Duty in the past, it is important that you take everything with a pinch of salt, as all of the above information is subject to change.

CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies teaser confirms Perkaholic and other Gobblegums – Dexerto
CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies teaser confirms Perkaholic and other Gobblegums ActivisionTreyarch shared a new teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and fans picked up on a few Gobblegum related clues. BO6 marks the return of round-based zombies for the first time in four years. It will arrive on October 25 with two maps, Terminus and Liberty Falls, and it will also continue the Dark Aether narrative that started in CoD: Cold War. In addition, Gobblegums make a return. This was a controversial feature in Black Ops 3 Zombies that gave players special abilities such as instantly teleporting to a random location or having zombies chase you instead of your teammates. Gobblegums drew criticism as the machine was expensive, forcing players to spend hours and in-game currency spinning to get the desired ability. Despite some skepticism, there is excitement around its return, and players learned a few Gobblegums that will be available in the latest BO6 teaser video. Here is a list of every confirmed Gobblegum in Black Ops 6 based on their logo from BO3. There is a chance that Treyarch changes how these abilities work, but here are their old descriptions. Perkaholic: Gives the player all Perk-a-Colas in the map – Profit Sharing: Points you earn are also received by nearby players and vice versa – Stock Option: Ammo is taken from the player’s stockpile instead of their weapon’s magazine. This allows the player to fire single-round weapons in fully-automatic fire mode – Cache Back: Spawns a Max Ammo Power-Up – Fans can’t wait to get their hands on the new Zombies experience for themselves. “Finally Gobblegums have returned! Zombies is finally back,” one player responded. In saying that, some players fear that Activision will go too far with making Gobblegums a micro-transaction. “That’s all but guaranteed. Activision will go overboard with the monetization, I’m sure of it,” a second user added. Whatever side you land on for Gobblegums coming back, anticipation for Zombies is at an all-time high. CoD: Black Ops 4 Will Feature ‘Signature Weapons,’ Including Special Pre-Order Bonuses – Dexerto
CoD: Black Ops 4 Will Feature ‘Signature Weapons,’ Including Special Pre-Order Bonuses ActivisionTreyarch and Activision have announced that new ‘Signature Weapons’ will be featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 title. These will be purely cosmetic variations of the base weapons, meaning that they will perform exactly like the base weapons and will not have any new or additional stats. Every Signature Weapon will come with its own set of individual challenges that players will need to complete in order to unlock additional cosmetic rewards. Once every challenge for the weapon is completed, a final Mastercraft version will be unlocked that will include the finalized version of the weapon in terms of its cosmetic appearance. Players who pre-order or purchase any of the special editions of Black Ops 4 will receive the Signature Weapon variation of the MX-9 SMG. This weapon will be available for anyone who gets the Digital Deluxe, Digital Deluxe Enhanced, Pro Edition or Mystery Box Edition of the game. Additionally, players who pre-order the game from GameStop will also receive the ‘Divinity,’ which is the Signature Weapon of the Strife pistol. The Divinity will come with its own set of in-game challenges that, once completed, will turn the gun into the ‘Divine Justice,’ a gold and white cosmetic variation that will be the Masterclass version of the Signature Weapon. This means that the only way players can get both the Divinity and MX-9 Signature Weapons is by pre-ordering the GameStop Pro Edition of Black Ops 4. While variant styles of base weapons have been in Call of Duty before, this is the first time they will be purely cosmetic and not have any stat boosts or differences. Players will be able to enjoy Signature Weapons and everything else Black Ops 4 has to offer when the game launches on October 12. – The entirety of the announcement from Activision and Treyarch can be read below: Signature Weapons: Accept the Challenges and Get the Rewards Find out how you can customize your Loadout even further with Signature Weapons in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 Players in Call of Duty know that a loadout isn’t just what you carry into battle… it helps to define who you are as a player. Whether you’re spending countless hours tinkering with your perfect set of tools to carry into a match or watching Killcams to see what your enemy used to take you down, loadouts are a constant source of pride and bragging rights in Call of Duty. For the first time in a Call of Duty game, Black Ops 4 will introduce Signature Weapons. These are cosmetic variations of the base weapons in Black Ops 4, each with their own challenges and rewards. Signature weapons do not have any game-altering stats and perform exactly like their base weapon counterparts. The beauty of Signature Weapons is in the additional layers of depth that they add to the game’s progression with their individual challenges. These challenges must be completed in order to unlock additional cosmetic rewards for that weapon, with the final being a Mastercraft version of the Signature Weapon. Signature Weapons are the most badass looking weapons in Black Ops 4, and a badge of honor for the battle-hardened players that have invested the time to achieve the Mastercraft versions. Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe, Digital Deluxe Enhanced, Pro Edition or Mystery Box Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will receive the MX-9 Signature Weapon on Day 1.
