  • Clayster Clarifies Long Barrel Situation with Team Sween After Accusations Were Made Following Upset – Dexerto

Clayster Clarifies Long Barrel Situation with Team Sween After Accusations Were Made Following Upset eUnited’s James “Clayster” Eubanks has cleared up the debate following his team’s match against Team Sween, after he accused Shea “QwiKeR’ Sweeney of using a restricted attachment. The ‘Long Barrel’ attachment on the BAR assault rifle has been agreed amongst professional players to be too powerful, and is not used as part of a gentleman’s agreement, but QwiKeR did have it on his weapon at one point in the match. After eUnited lost 3-2, Clayster took to Twitter to call Team Sween out for it, before shortly after deleting the tweet. QwiKeR himself though explained his side of the situation, explaining that he had only equipped it for a single round of Search and Destroy, and didn’t even get a kill with it. The First Teams Have Been Eliminated from the 2018 CWL Championship At this point, there was a debate ongoing between fans, some saying QwiKeR was in the wrong, some that Clayster was simply looking for excuses, and others who think the gentleman’s agreement itself is the issue. Putting an end to the debate, Clayster has now posted a fresh tweet, explaining why he originally accused Team Sween and why he retracted it. Apparently he had been told by others that QwiKeR had in fact been using it for the entire match, not just a single inconsequential round. It means there is only one spot left up for grabs in Group D, and it is to be fought for between eUnited and Splyce. The two teams will face off in a season defining match for them both at 1:30pm PT / 4:30pm ET / 9:30pm BST.

  • Clayster claims some CoD pros don’t “play to win” in Call of Duty League – Dexerto

Clayster claims some CoD pros don’t “play to win” in Call of Duty League Call of Duty LeagueHot off his victory at the CDL Championship Weekend, now-former Dallas Empire star James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has suggested that some top professional players are no longer playing to win, and instead just to collect a paycheck. Now a three-time world champion, joining the very exclusive 3-rings club with Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, the trio appeared on the TrainwrecksTV Twitch podcast to discuss the current landscape of CoD esports. This was the first season of the new franchised league for Call of Duty, and Clayster believes that “inflated” salaries and limited roster spots is changing the approach players have. For next season, the league is reverting rosters to 4v4, rather than 5v5, after two years of the new team sizes. This had a very direct impact on Clayster, who was axed from the Empire lineup almost immediately after winning the world championship. With roster spots now becoming even more limited, Clayster thinks it has put pressure on players to play for themselves, rather than the team. “Everyone is keeping their job now, so they don’t get dropped or maintain a roster spot,” Clayster explains. “[It’s] just because our salaries are so large right now, and so inflated, that everyone doesn’t need to win to pay rent. They’re just like, ‘f**k it, I need a roster spot’, so I’ll just ‘killwhore’ and ‘statwhore’, put up a 2.0 K/D but literally lose my team the game.’ ” Devin Nash suggests that a similar trend has been spotted in LCS – North American League of Legends – which is also a franchised league, and for the same reason. Clayster thinks that this is why so many young and hungry players got their shot in the 2020 season, who otherwise wouldn’t have. “That’s why this year, you saw a bunch of amateur Call of Duty players come up, who have never even been considered before.” “These kids actually came in trying to win, and get better, and win tournaments. Not just sit there on a bench or on a roster spot and take salary every month, and be like ‘playing with my friends, cool.’” Read more: CoD pros split on move to 4v4 in CDL – Clayster is now on the hunt for a roster spot of his own, following his exit from Dallas Empire. The Call of Duty Rostermania season is now starting, and major changes have already taken place. Seattle Surge dropped their entire roster except for one player, for example. • Clayster claims New York Subliners tried to sell him for up to $1m – Dexerto

Clayster claims New York Subliners tried to sell him for up to $1m Call of Duty LeagueCall of Duty legend James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has claimed that New York Subliners tried selling him to rival franchises in the 2022 CoD League season for a fee of up to $1m, meaning he was left playing in Challengers for the rest of the year with no other franchise willing to fork out the fees. Clayster is one of the biggest names in CoD esports. A three-time world champion, he’s been competing for well over a decade and has earned his status as one of the GOATs of Call of Duty. For that reason, his stock has long been incredibly high, as a dominant AR player and vocal leader capable of turning the tide and making any team capable of contending for championships. Not only has his stock been high, but he’s also commanded some notable payouts in his time at the top, as he explained in a recent livestream — but the Subliners may have placed a slightly-too-hefty price tag on him when they dropped him during the Vanguard season. As explained during a Valorant stream, Clayster said: “I got sold from eUnited to [Dallas] Empire for $250,000. I got sold from Empire to New York for what was going to be $400k … New York then tried to sell me for half a million to $1m.” Clay went on to say that he’s now a free agent, meaning that he’s “way cheaper” for any prospective teams that may want to bring him in for Modern Warfare 2. He also mentioned that CDL players are entitled to 25% of their buyout fee, meaning he could have pocketed around $100k from his move to the Subliners, though he opted to waive 75% of his cut, so the New York team only had to pay $325k instead. There have not yet been any reports regarding Clayster’s potential new team, though he likely has a number of teams at least enquiring. You can keep up with all of the confirmed roster changes in our 2023 CDL rostermania hub.

  • Clayster can’t stop laughing after witnessing a flamethrower tornado on Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

Clayster can’t stop laughing after witnessing a flamethrower tornado on Black Ops 4 Call of Duty pro player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks burst into fits of laughter while watching teammate Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris create an amazing flamethrower tornado on Black Ops 4. Clayster and his eUnited teammates had hopped into a match of Frequency Hardpoint on custom games with the intent of working on call-outs, when they realized that they had unlimited specialists equipped. Of course, with everyone shooting grenade launchers and throwing 9-Bangs, not many call-outs were created, but one hilarious moment did take place that had Eubanks in stitches. ABeZy, who had decided to pull out Firebreak’s Purifier flamethrower began to shoot it, showing how far the flames can reach. Then, in a moment of inspiration, began to spin around, creating a massive circle of fire around him. Clayster immediately found this to be hilarious, bursting into fits of giggles, asking aBeZy to put his controller to the highest sensitivity. The eUnited star duly obliged, and begin spinning around at incredible speeds, while Eubanks cackled with delight in the background. “It’s a tornado bro,” laughed Clayster uncontrollably. “It’s a fucking tornado, look at it! I’m crying!” Clayster and the rest of his squad seem to enjoy playing together based on this clip, and made it all the way to the finals of the second CWL 2K tournament, losing out to eventual back-to-back winners OpTic Gaming. While there seems to be a blossoming rivalry between the Greenwall and eUnited, they will have to wait until the CWL Las Vegas Open in December to get their hands on each other on LAN.

  • Clayster “can’t believe” location choice for CDL Launch Weekend – Dexerto

Clayster “can’t believe” location choice for CDL Launch Weekend MLG / Twitter: ROKKRDallas Empire Call of Duty star James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has said he “can’t believe” the decision to host the CDL Launch Weekend in Minnesota, especially in January. Minnesota is one of the twelve cities represented in the franchised Call of Duty League, and local team RØKKR are bringing their CDL opponents to their hometown to kick the action off. However, anybody that knows Minnesota knows the weather can creep pretty low at times – especially in January, deep in the heart of the winter season. In a tweet posted on January 21, Clay put his thoughts out there pretty clearly, questioning why the League opted to host the very first event of the inaugural season in Minnesota, particularly during one of the coldest months of the year. “Can’t believe they put the first event in Minnesota in f**king January”, the Empire player said, which, although he doesn’t explicitly say it, many believe to be a comment on how cold it gets in the North Star State. He also joked about fans not wanting to attend the event, saying he “hopes to see all ten of the fans there!” Can’t believe they put the first event in MINNESOTA in fuckin JANUARY. Hope to see all ten of the fans there! pic.twitter.com/TfPqtMRvNk — Clayster (@Clayster) January 21, 2020 While several fans making jokes about it, saying they’re “pretty sure he’ll be playing indoors,” some other pro players responded to him too. Former teammate Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr of Atlanta FaZe was one of the first to respond, simply telling Clay that he’s “shook already,” while Seattle Surge’s Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry asked “What do you mean man? Mall of America is here, it’s lit.” There’s no doubt Minnesota will be a bit chilly throughout the event, but with the players traveling all across North America and Europe over the coming months, Clay and his peers will likely get more than their fair of sunshine and warm weather at other events. The Call of Duty Launch Weekend is in Minnesota’s Minneapolis Armory, with all twelve teams in attendance. Despite Clay’s concerns about the event, there is no doubt fans will be incredibly excited to see the professional Call of Duty circuit kick off once again.

  • Clayster calls out OpTic for being late to scrims, and Karma hits back – Dexerto

Clayster calls out OpTic for being late to scrims, and Karma hits back MLG / CWL – YouTubeCall of Duty pro player Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow had some tough words for eUnited’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks after OpTic Gaming were called out for being late to a practice scrim. Scrim schedules have been a major point of discussion in the competitive CoD community over the past few weeks, with teams constantly going at each other for being late to practice matches. One of the teams whose scrim habits have been put under scrutiny is OpTic Gaming, as Clayster became the latest to put them on blast for their failure to show up on time. Clayster calls out OpTic On April 26, Clayster took to Twitter to announce that he and his eUnited squad had waiting an hour past their scheduled scrim time to play OpTic, including a sarcastically happy GIF with his tweet. He would later reveal that, once the practice session did get started, OpTic had decided to cut the scrim short in order to make it to their next scheduled match. “Wait, now I actually just lost full,” he tweeted. “We wait an hour for OG then they quit after HP’s to ‘make their second scrim.’ This is actual comedy. LOST FULL.” me sitting here after it now being 60 minutes past scheduled scrim time with the optic gaming pic.twitter.com/Z1Xm8JqtJr — eU Clayster (@Clayster) April 26, 2019 Karma hits back at Clayster One of the tweets that Clayster put out appears to have not sat well with Karma, who hit back at the eUnited man with a strong response: “Still crying on Twitter after we gave you an hour and a half notice man” Still crying on TWITTER after we gave you an hour and a half notice man. — Damon B (@OpTic_DKarma) April 26, 2019 Ironically, Karma’s response came on a tweet that Clayster actually hadn’t aimed at OpTic, which he pointed out in his response. However, the OpTic star wasn’t having any of it, suggesting that eUnited only scrim against the teams that were never late. This engagement with Clay didn’t seem to calm Karma down, as he then proceeded to put out an inflammatory sub-tweet on his own page, while not tagging anyone in particular. You guys did give us notice, and fair play if shit comes up it comes up. Just got annoyed today after hitting the 2 week mark of not having any team except for a few on time. — eU Clayster (@Clayster) April 26, 2019 OpTic’s scrim habits continue to be questioned This is not the first time that OpTic’s tardiness to scrims has been brought up on a public forum such as Twitter. Recently, FaZe Clan’s Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris tweeted about how he wanted to “blacklist” the team from scrims for “wasting his time.” Several weeks ago, following CWL Fort Worth, 100 Thieves’ Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt called out the OpTic players for failing to show up on time for scrims in their own pre-LAN bootcamp. At the time, OG’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter denied those accusations, although he was accused of “blatantly lying” by 100T CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. Despite all of this drama, the Green Wall will want to keep their heads clear, as they prepare for their trip to the UK to compete in the CWL London major tournament.

  • Clayster calls out CDL pros exploiting aim assist bug during official match – Dexerto

Clayster calls out CDL pros exploiting aim assist bug during official match Activision / CDLThe opening weekend of the 2022 Call of Duty League season is here and New York Subliners player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks is calling out pros from Atlanta FaZe and Paris Legion for abusing a bug that grants aim assist through walls. Vanguard has many issues that have lingered around the start of the CDL season. Some even thought that the Kickoff Classic was just a tool to test out the game before the official season started. Nonetheless, when the season started on February 4, players were forced to play despite the game’s current state. While some things are deemed overpowered, CDL pros tend to set a Gentlemen’s Agreement (GA) to not use these things. However, not everything gets added to that list and heated debates happen. On Day 2 of the season, Clayster called out two players in the Atlanta FaZe and Paris Legion match exploiting an aim assist glitch. According to @Clayster you can still get aim assist through walls 😬 pic.twitter.com/uNE3rSt9K7 — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 5, 2022 CDL pros use aim assist glitch in official match The clip, embedded above, took over the CoD community after Clayster tweeted out some interesting information fans may not have known. He claimed that McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel and Jacob ‘Decemate’ Cato were both spamming their ADS button because there’s a bug that lets them pick up aim assist on an enemy through the wall. You can see Cellium aims in and out a few times before comboing his grenade with his teammates to get first blood in the round — something Clayster highlighted as abusing the exploit. Decemate did something similar, although wasn’t able to convert his actions into any kills. However, it still raised the question why the mechanic hasn’t been patched out. Lmaoo this is still a thing? I remember being mindblown in the kickoff snd tourneys this existed. — PATTYP (@ACHES) February 5, 2022 Former World Champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price chimed in on Twitter, not realizing this was still in the game as it was an issue at launch. Other people gave their two cents as one of the Subliners coach JPKrez said: “Love seeing this at the Pro level. Definitely not busted.” Pros have already debated if smokes should be allowed in the game and it wouldn’t be a surprise if ADS spamming is added into the GA pool in the near future.

  • Clayster Calls Loony “The Sorest Loser I’ve Ever Played Against” After eUnited Reverse Sweep Rise Nation at the CWL Pro League – Dexerto

Clayster Calls Loony “The Sorest Loser I’ve Ever Played Against” After eUnited Reverse Sweep Rise Nation at the CWL Pro League Competitive Call of Duty is just not the same unless there is the usual dose of trash talk between highly competitive players. While usually the trash talk is reserved for the tradition back-and-forth on social media between players and their respective fans, sometimes things can escalate into an in-person confrontation. This was the case in the recently developed situation involving eUnited’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Rise Nation’s Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza at the CWL Pro League on May 31st. The pair exchanged words after the teams had just concluded a tightly contested match, in which eUnited came back from 0-2 down to hand Rise their first loss of Stage 2. Read More: Censor Reveals Who He Thinks is the Best Call of Duty Pro Player, Discusses Professional Fortnite and CWL Anaheim – A video of the eUnited players’ reaction after completing the reverse sweep shows Clayster extremely fired up as he yelled out expletives across the stage at the Rise Nation players. This seemed to have drawn the ire of Loony, who can be seen exchanging words with Clayster as the teams did their customary handshakes after the match. Clayster was interviewed after the match and he had some choice words to say about Loony, saying that he is “definitely the sorest loser I’ve ever played against.” Not getting the chance to speak on the same platform as Clayster, Loony took to Twitter to share his perspective on the situation. And of course I get all the hate when he talked shit and threw shade first. All good that’s what happens when you are such a big brand like Clay. — Danny (@RiseLoonysan) May 31, 2018 Of course this is not the first time these two long-time CoD veterans have butted heads. The two went at each other on social media several months ago after eUnited had just swept Rise Nation in a Pool Play match at CWL Birmingham. This development will be worth keeping an eye on as the two teams will meet again in the CWL Pro League on July 10th, in what very likely could have huge Playoff implications.

  • Clayster slams “blatant” Call of Duty Challengers hackers exposed in new videos – Dexerto

Clayster slams “blatant” Call of Duty Challengers hackers exposed in new videos Activision / CDLNew clips of suspicious plays in Call of Duty Challengers have ignited strong sentiments from people like James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks for the “unacceptable” state of the esport’s ecosystem. Concerns in the online era of esports have largely centered around legitimacy of results across different titles. The lower scenes in competitive Call of Duty have been no exception, and sometimes clips come out that instantly reignite the community. That was the case when CoD pro Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris took a closer look at his match in EU Challengers 18 match against a player called ‘DeamZy’ that didn’t sit right with him. Zer0 had to bring out the VAR for hackers in Challengers 🤦♂️pic.twitter.com/2VabwJLAfJ — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) July 10, 2021 Zer0’s clips spread like wildfire, catching the eye of Clay, who couldn’t believe the obvious cheating happening in the official match, he said. “Never seen anything more blatant,” Clayster said in response. “Actually feel bad for all the Challengers players this year, this is simply unacceptable when it’s affecting people’s livelihood.” Clay is an outspoken member of the CDL who regularly chimes in when a trend or league practices don’t sit right. Now, he would like to see change. While some claim were saying that the videos were inconclusive, high-level players and apparently league officials didn’t agree. Worst bit about it is, the CDL made a decision that he wasnt hacking until i sent them way more clips and then they changed their mind, nearly had to deal with that hahaha — cartier (@Trei) July 10, 2021 According to Zer0, since sharing numerous clips, league officials went back and decided that foul play indeed occurred. “Worst bit about it is, the CDL made a decision that he wasn’t hacking until I sent them way more clips and then they changed their mind,” Zer0 responded to Clay. “Nearly had to deal with that hahaha.” There’s been a few more clips that people have dissected since the apparent ruling. Although this instance has been dealt a punishment, it underscores the issues CDL players have been voicing.

  • Clayster benches himself in surprise Subliners swap – Dexerto

Clayster benches himself in surprise Subliners swap Call of Duty LeagueJames ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has revealed he will be taking a shock break from competing in the Call of Duty League, with the New York Subliners star admitting he needs time to “get myself straight mentally” before returning to pro play. Subliners announced Clayster’s move on July 19. New York’s recent results — especially their 0-3 run in Stage 5 so far — have been less than stellar, but there were no suggestions team management were looking to make roster swaps before Champs due to that Subliners dip. “Part of the balance of competing at the highest level is knowing when to recharge,” the Subliners wrote in a July 19 team update shared on Twitter. Clayster will be taking a break from competition this week.” Dexerto can confirm roster substitute Conor ‘Diamondcon’ Johst will be taking the veteran’s place in New York’s lineup for at least the Seattle Home Series. On the swap, Eubanks said: “Just need a break from it all.” “I’m sure you all have seen I haven’t been myself in quite some time, need to take a step back, get myself straight mentally. Gotta take care of yourself over everything, and I don’t plan on this being ‘for good,’ but I hope the boys crush it.” It is Dexerto’s understanding Diamondcon will replace Clayster for Seattle’s Home Series, and the CDL team will then reassess ahead of Champs. Just need a break from it all. I’m sure you all have seen I haven’t been myself in quite some time, need to take a step back and get myself straight mentally. Clayster won back-to-back Call of Duty world titles with eUnited and Dallas Empire in 2019 and 2020, the latter of which was the first-ever CDL championship.

  • Clayster and SiLLY Claim CoDBurner’s Salary Leaks are “Massively Misinformed” – Dexerto

Clayster and SiLLY Claim CoDBurner’s Salary Leaks are “Massively Misinformed” A number of Call of Duty pro players, including James ‘Clayster’ and Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo, have claimed that salary figures leaked by CoDBurner are wrong. CoDBurner, a mysterious account on Reddit that leaks unverified information about the Call of Duty esports scene, recently returned to the platform and made fresh claims about player relationships and the possible roster changes we may see in the off season. However, one specific comment from CoDBurner caught the attention of Call of Duty pro players. When asked what the average salary for players was, CoDBurner released a series of claims regarding pay, including monthly salaries for teams like Evil Geniuses and OpTic as well as some individual player salaries. It wasn’t long until players and members of management caught wind of CoDBurner’s newest assertions, and they quickly took to Twitter in an attempt to dispel the rumors. Read More: Splyce Set Bar High For Black Ops 4 – eUnited’s Clayster took to the social media site and called CoDBurner “misinformed”, while EG’s SiLLY claimed he couldn’t believe that every number stated was incorrect. “grasping at straws”. While there is no way to fact-check CoDBurner’s claims and leaks, it’s unlikely that we have heard the last of the infamous Reddit user during this off-season.

  • Clayster and Nadeshot debate 100 Thieves CoD roster change – Dexerto

Clayster and Nadeshot debate 100 Thieves CoD roster change 100 Thieves’ pro Call of Duty team has announced a major roster change that has sparked some serious debate on social media. On January 28, the team announced that they’d acquired FaZe Clan’s Preston ‘Priestahh’ Greiner for their CWL Pro League roster, taking the place of Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez. According to CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, a former star pro player himself, this transition will help improve the gameplay of star man Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams by taking him out of the strict SMG slayer role and allow him to use the Maddox assault rifle. This move was openly questioned by eUnited’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks, a longtime competitor and former teammate of Nadeshot, and the two debated about it on Twitter. It all started when Clayster tweeted out “When you main sub won’t run a sub so you get dropped, tough scenes.” To this, Nadeshot responded by making it clear that a lot more thought and deliberation was put in before making a move this caliber. “I’m sure you know better than most that there is a lot more than meets the eye here than the generic though process you just used here,” he tweeted. “This was a decision that we did not take lightly by any means.” “I’d hope you guys would do what you believe is best for the team, and if I’m honest, the Maddox is far easier to use to it’ll probably improve Kenny’s stats,” Clayster responded. “I just think it’s rough for a player who qualified for the league to get dropped because of someone else’s inabilities.” “The PPSH from WWII functions much differently than the SAUG in BO4. To automatically write off Kenny because his play style as an SMG on this game thus far isn’t a fair comparison to the last,” he tweeted. “Ultimately I can’t predict the future though, so we’ll see how it plays out.” While Clayster is right in that 100T did drop Fero after qualifying for the Pro League, it was clear and obvious that the team were struggling at times, and the org likely felt that it was better to make a change sooner rather than later.

  • Clayster and Arcitys impressed by former Halo pro in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

Clayster and Arcitys impressed by former Halo pro in Black Ops 4 After taking down team ‘SZN’ in the losers finals of the CMG ProDown, eUnited duo James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson explained how impressed they were with the young, upcoming players. In the otherwise all-professional tournament, ‘SZN’ was a squad made up of mostly players under 18, who will aspire to turn professional within in the next year or so. Well known amateur players Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal and Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr were part of the roster, but one player which really stood out to Clayster and Arcitys was former Halo pro, Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro. Shotzzy is the 2018 Halo World Champion, an honor he earned with the dominant Splyce Halo roster in April, but with Halo 5’s competitive lifespan coming to an end, Shotzzy is looking to make a transition to CoD. More: eUnited win $2,500 CMG ProDown Black Ops 4 tournament #4 – recap, highlights, and final placements – Part of Splyce’s ‘Black’ roster for Call of Duty, Shotzzy is currently unable to compete due to age restrictions for the CWL, but once he turns 18, Clayster and Arcitys are worried about how good he might be. Clayster said after the match “dude once these kids start going to LAN, they’re going to actually be good and it’s going to piss me off. Shotzzy, Simp and iLLeY.” Arcitys agrees, saying “Shotzzy’s fucking disgusting, this guy is so fast. I’ve never been punched faster.” Black Ops 4 has already seen the rise of some younger players breaking into the top level of CoD, with eUnited’s own Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris one example, placing 2nd at CWL Las Vegas, although he did compete throughout the majority of WWII as well, with limited success. Former eUnited cadet, McArther ‘Cellium’ Jovel is perhaps the best example, after immediately being recruited to FaZe Clan after turning 18 – however he is yet to prove himself in a LAN environment. Simp is yet to turn 18, but will be available to play at CWL Fort Forth in February, following his birthday. Meanwhile iLLeY has a longer wait, with his birthday not until October.

  • Clayster and Accuracy highlight major utility issue in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Clayster and Accuracy highlight major utility issue in Modern Warfare Call of Duty pros James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi have voiced their opinion on Modern Warfare’s utility, highlighting one thing in particular as being a problem. As always, the latest iteration of Call of Duty has bought many changes to the game, bringing both praise and criticism to the developers. One of the most controversial moves so far is to do with some of the game’s utility, namely smoke grenades, as thermals can no longer see through them and every player starts with a smoke in certain competitive modes, leading players to feel that there are currently too many of them. Players like Accuracy and Clayster were some of the first to speak up about the subject, with the former claiming on Twitter that: “Every single player in the lobby spawning with a smoke does not make COD better,” comparing the current system with Counter-Strike, claiming that CS does it better. Clayster was quick to throw in his two cents, saying that: “You need at least 1-2 smokes in this game or defense would be insanely overpowered.” Every single player in the lobby spawning with a smoke does not make cod better. It works perfectly in CS because you actually have to earn them. — NYSL Lamar :snowflake:️ (@AccuracyLA) October 28, 2019 100% a few smokes per team is needed but 5 per team is completely obnoxious and everyone knows that. — NYSL Lamar :snowflake:️ (@AccuracyLA) October 28, 2019 He later expanded on his statement, adding that due to thermals not seeing through smokes there needs to be a way to limit or counter the grenades. Accuracy then went as far as to say that five smokes per team is “obnoxious” and that realistically only a few should be needed or used, so with ten being available things aren’t as good as they could be. To add onto that, the thermals don’t counter smokes this year, and we probably won’t use snapshot grenades because of the seeing through walls capability, so we’re going to have to figure out a solution to limit smokes or have a counter to smokes. — Empire Clayster (@Clayster) October 29, 2019 Other players and fans have argued that Trophy System field upgrade can be used to counter smokes as it’s able to destroy enemy equipment and projectiles. However, Dead Silence seems to be the upgrade of choice for most players, with even Clayster praising it as it allows players to push for map control, meaning that unless some things are tweaked soon, that is unlikely to change.

  • Clayster agrees with Nadeshot over Vegas Legion criticism: “He’s spitting facts” – Dexerto

Clayster agrees with Nadeshot over Vegas Legion criticism: “He’s spitting facts” Call of Duty League/100 ThievesAfter 100 Thieves CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag called out the new Vegas Legion side, namely players James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda, questioning the way they spoke to each other during team scrims. Modern Warfare 2 launched at the end of October, and the Call of Duty League season is right around the corner, with new teams testing themselves and getting as much practice in as possible before Major 1 qualifiers start. Vegas Legion, having recently relocated from Paris, enter the season as one of the poorest-performing sides in the league, winning only two series’ in 2022. They have a new-look line-up now, with only Temp staying on the team, but things haven’t looked completely rosy in the Vegas camp. Alongside three-time world champion Clayster, Temp has also been joined by Byron ‘Prolute’ Vera and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly on the Legion, and with team scrims being streamed, Nadeshot — who won championships with Clayster during their earlier years of competing — wasn’t that impressed. “If you go back and watch this VOD, it’s the tone of the way that they’re calling out, and the way that they’re talking to each other,” he said during a podcast with streamer iiTzTimmy. “It’s dismissive, it’s passive-aggressive, and people don’t realize until you mature, that the only way you’re going to be able to communicate with somebody and get something out of them, is by talking to them like a human being.” After watching the clip on The Flank, Clayster called into the show to share his side, and discuss what Nade had said. “He’s spitting facts,” Clay said. “Anybody can admit that what he’s saying is true. There is a way to do things and a certain way to go about speaking to each other, but it’s all about having that mutual respect. “If the person you’re giving feedback and criticism to doesn’t respect what you’re saying, then it’s never going to work no matter how you say it.” Timestamp 45:00 Clay went on to say that they were “playing up” to streams being on a little bit, and that they have had serious conversations off-stream, with things not being as bad as some fans may have feared. Regardless, it won’t be long before we get to see just where Vegas stack up against their opposition, and whether they’re really on the same page this year.

  • Clayster agrees to extension with eUnited – Dexerto

Clayster agrees to extension with eUnited eUnited AR player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has agreed to a contract extension to remain with the team until 2020. “Happy to announce I’ve extended my contract with eUnited through 2020. Proud to be on an org that supports me the way I support them, here’s to many championships,” Clayster said in a tweet announcing the extension. Happy to announce I’ve extended my contract with @eUnitedgg through 2020. Proud to be on an org that supports me the way I support them, here’s to many championships! #StandUnited pic.twitter.com/PfjXM7lNBx — eU Clayster (@Clayster) October 20, 2018 Clayster is one of the biggest personalities in Call of Duty esports and has played a role in the increasing popularity of the eUnited organization. eUnited was a model of consistency in World War 2, placing top 6 in each of the first three majors of the year, followed by top 4 finishes at the CWL Stage 2 Playoffs and the Call of Duty Championship. Clayster joined eUnited in June of 2017 in a swap that sent Gunless over to FaZe Clan. The extension of Clayster is the latest in a series of roster moves from the organization, which also signed Call of Duty veteran Jkap and rising prospect aBeZy to go with the brother duo of Arcitys and Prestinni. Jkap and Clayster last teamed together during the Advanced Warfare season, where they won the Call of Duty Championship under Denial Esports.

  • Clayster addresses turmoil with JKap and eUnited’s recent roster change – Dexerto

Clayster addresses turmoil with JKap and eUnited’s recent roster change eUnited professional Call of Duty player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has released a video addressing the controversy surrounding his relationship with teammate Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan, as well as the team’s recent roster change. A day after being on the receiving end of some serious insults from JKap on Twitter, Clayster took to YouTube to give his side of the story and express his perspective. In that Twitter engagement, Clay fired back with some shots of his own towards the 2015 and 2016 World Champion. In his video, the eUnited star explained that he has been working on keeping his composure, but also because he felt that he had done nothing wrong to deserve such personal attacks. “I’m not sure why he’s resorted to taking personal attacks at me, when publicly I haven’t said anything about him negatively,” he said. “I haven’t said he was the reason I was going to get dropped. I haven’t said he wasn’t performing. It’s been broad general strokes about the whole team.” The Twitter spat between the veterans on March 21 saw JKap accuse Clayster of being arrogant and self-centered, to which Clay responded directly. “I don’t understand why you joined the team in the first place if you felt that way,” he said. “I hope I can change your mind at some point, but in reality, I don’t really care. You can think what you want to think.” Contrary to JKap’s claims that not a lot of Clayster’s teammates enjoyed working with him since the days of Advanced Warfare, the latter revealed that there had only been previous issues with Enable and Prestinni – which is a much smaller proportion than suggested. Clayster ended things by clearing the air, suggesting that he does not have any spite for JKap – despite their clash. “I don’t have anything against JKap, I really don’t,” he said. “He doesn’t like me, that’s cool, I guess we’re not friends anymore. But I don’t hate him, I don’t despise him, I wasn’t trying to get him dropped on his neck. I wasn’t sitting there scheming behind his back, I didn’t do any of that.” As for eUnited’s recent roster change, which saw substitute Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr promoted to the starting lineup in place of JKap, Clayster shared his thoughts at having the electrifying up-and-comer join the main team and also revealed the players’ new roles going back into the CWL Pro League. “Really excited to have Simp on the squad, and really excited to see what he and aBeZy could do with their submachine guns,” he explained. “Going to move Prestinni move to the Maddox with me and have Alex stay on the ICR.” With the cross-divisional phase of the CWL Pro League set to kick off, eUnited will be returning to action on March 25 and have matches lined up against Evil Geniuses, UYU, Luminosity Gaming, and Red Reserve.

  • Clayster addresses “hate” over Black Ops Cold War’s Control mode – Dexerto

Clayster addresses “hate” over Black Ops Cold War’s Control mode Call of Duty League / TreyarchBlack Ops Cold War’s Control game mode has come under fire lately but 2020 Call of Duty League champion James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks has explained why the “hate” is overblown. Each and every year in competitive CoD there are three modes in rotation. Both Hardpoint and Search and Destroy are often staples with each annual release. However, the third mode is usually in rotation depending on what’s available. The 2019 season saw Domination make a return, for instance. This time around, Control is that third key playlist. This means all pro competitions throughout the upcoming season will feature the mode across an assortment of maps. It’s just the second time in CoD history that Control has appeared after its introduction in 2018’s Black Ops 4. While it was received well throughout its initial run, leading to some of the most exciting moments of the year, it’s relaunch in Cold War hasn’t been received quite as well. After a few days of backlash on social media, Clayster has explained why the “hate” isn’t justified. Now that the community is settling into Treyarch’s new release, a proper meta has started to emerge. Assault Rifles outright dominate the game in its current form. As a result, Control can be challenging and players have been quick to voice their frustrations. “If there is no way to fix how hard it is to win Offenses, why wouldn’t a game mode like demolition or CTF be a possibility for mode three?” Reddit user ‘jaydubb2’ questioned. With so many ARs set up on Defense, it can be extremely tough to break into capture points on Offense. However, Clayster believes the “hate” for the mode is a bit too much. Rather than complaining, players should instead “figure out how to win Offense,” he stressed. “Not just say it’s chalked, Defense wins. There are methods.” Seeing a lot of Control hate on the TL and the subreddit. Honestly, there’s a couple Narnia spawns that will be (hopefully) cleaned up and with 45s capture time, offense becomes much easier. Gotta figure out how to win O not just say “it’s chalked D wins.” There are methods. — Clayster (@Clayster) November 29, 2020 If these issues are patched over time, with spawns being dialed in and the capture time adjusted, Control could be back to the explosive mode it was in Black Ops 4. “Control I feel like is a competitive game-mode from the core up,” Clayster added. The mode isn’t perfect in its current state, but with a few simple tweaks, it could be better than ever, according to the three-time world champion. “Honestly, there’s a couple Narnia spawns that will be (hopefully) cleaned up and with 45s capture time, offense becomes much easier.” CTF will always be CTF. Control I feel like is a competitive game-mode from the core up, except for overtime rules. — Clayster (@Clayster) November 29, 2020 Early impressions have clearly been negative towards the mode. However, there’s still plenty of time for things to change ahead of the CDL 2021 season.

  • Clayster accidentally reveals first GAs in Black Ops Cold War – Dexerto

Clayster accidentally reveals first GAs in Black Ops Cold War Activision/New York SublinersWith a new competitive season in the Call of Duty world thanks to the launch of Black Ops Cold War, it means we get a whole new bunch of weapons, maps and, of course, Gentlemen’s Agreements. [jwplayer Q7ySHZq9] Gentlemen’s Agreements, or GAs as they’re more commonly known, are a set of rules that the pros make among themselves, taking out things and making minor adjustments that they consider to not be competitive. This usually means that we see certain guns out of play, but we’ve also seen it impact the equipment used in matches, such as grenades, as well as the likes of attachments that players can use. While these aren’t always implemented on a strict level by the developer or the CDL itself, you’ll often see the pros themselves abiding by GAs — and it looks like we know the first set for Black Ops Cold War. While waiting for a map to start, Clayster was flicking through his tabs when he accidentally opened one showing the current list of GAs. Although this might change before the second season of the Call of Duty League officially kicks off, here’s what was on the list: No Gearhead – Law Breaker (no overkill) – 2 Trophy Systems – 2 Assault Packs (but can’t use them) – 1 smoke grenade in respawn modes, 2 in Search and Destroy – No tactical rifles – No Thermal optics – No scorestreaks – Some of these would have been expected. Tactical rifles, for example, fall into a similar class as marskman rifles from previous games, which have always been GA’d. Similarly, limitations on smoke grenades and trophy systems were expected given how prevalent they clearly have been in competitive matches played so far. Gearhead reduces Field Upgrade cooldown time and lets players carry two, which probably explains why they didn’t want it in, while Law Breaker allows players to use more than one perk from a certain group (Perk 1, Perk2, Perk3), but also lets players use any weapon class in either weapon slot. The “No Overkill” specification is for exactly that: they don’t want players running around with a sniper and a submachine gun, for example. Obviously, this list could change over time, and may look completely different when official matches roll around. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Classic Warzone AR actually dominates as SMG but no one is using it – Dexerto

Classic Warzone AR actually dominates as SMG but no one is using it ActivisionThere’s a slept-on AR in Warzone 2 that can actually dominate against meta SMGs despite the fact it was nerfed in the most recent round of Season 4 Reloaded weapon changes. The last few updates in Warzone 2 have really shaken the battle royale’s meta about compared to where it was in Season 3. Sure, the Cronen Squall is still the go-to gun for most players, but there are plenty of other viable options too. SMGs have stepped up ever since the Season 4 Reloaded changes, with the likes of the ISO 45, Lachmann Sub, and Vaznev-9K getting a lot of shine from players at all levels. Though, it’s not just SMGs that are dominating the close-range fights. You’ve still got a crop of Assault Rifles that are better suited to that close-quarters combat – and that includes the Kastov 74U. Best Kastov 74U loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded That’s right, the old classic 74U has gotten some love from Warzone expert WhosImmortal following the July 24 balancing changes, as he puts it up alongside some of the stronger options in close-range fights. “This is one of the rifles that really can compete in the close-range and some of the mid-range as well,” the YouTuber said. “The 74U, right now, is better than ever in Warzone because the brand-new KSTV-17 barrel is finally accessible for all players and this just turns it into even more of a sniper support style weapon with better range and velocity.” Naturally, the new barrel features in the loadout alongside some of the old staples like the FSS Ole-V Laser, 45-round mag, and Demo-X2 rear grip. Barrel: KSTV-17 barrel – Laser: FSS Ole-V Laser – Magazine: 45-round mag – Stock: OTREZAT Stock – Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip – While the 74U has had plenty of shine over the course of Warzone 2, as it stands, it is being pretty slept-on. As per WZRanked stats, it’s got a measly pick rate of 0.1%, so no one is using it. That will likely change and see an uptick now WhosImmortal has shone a light on it, but just how much it increases remains to be seen.

  • Classic Vanguard weapon is now Warzone’s “best marksman rifle” after Season 5 buff – Dexerto

Classic Vanguard weapon is now Warzone’s “best marksman rifle” after Season 5 buff ActivisionThe Vanguard M1 Garand has rapidly become Warzone’s ‘best marksman rifle’ after its major Season 5 buff, with expert WhosImmortal outlining his preferred build ahead of Warzone 2. Warzone Season 5 has already been confirmed by Activision and Raven as the final season of the battle royale’s life cycle. As a result, players are settling into Season 5 and figuring out which weapons dominate ahead of the BR sequel and Modern Warfare 2. One of them is the M1 Garand, the classic CoD rifle that received a surprise buff with Season 5. The update decreased its flinch by 33%, increased its muzzle velocity by over 13%, and strengthened a host of weapon attachments. As a result, some have compared it to the once infamous DMR. While its Vanguard iteration has generally struggled to impact the meta in any capacity, it is now one of the game’s most popular weapons and, according to one Warzone expert, the best marksman rifle in the game. Buffed M1 Garand is now Warzone’s best marksman rifle In a September 9 video, WhosImmortal outlined his picks for best meta weapons in each category following the Season 5 changes. First place in the marksman rifle category was the semi-auto Vanguard AR, with the YouTuber saying: “The M1 Garand is the way to go. This is a newly buffed marksman rifle that, honestly, is very very strong for players who can use it correctly… the damage output here is honestly better than most rifles. The TTK when you’re landing shots consistently is hyper-competitive.” Naturally, the semi-automatic nature of the M1 Garand will dissuade some players from using it. Semi-auto weapons are inherently more difficult to use and punish players for missed shots to a greater extent. However, skilled and confident players will only benefit from using the powerful rifle, especially with WhosImmortal’s recommended build: Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: CGC Ironsides – Optic: G16 2.5x – Stock: CGC G2 Padded – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 40 Round Drums – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Rubber Grip – Perk: Hardscope – Perk 2: On Hand – The class, unsurprisingly, seeks to maximize control and bullet velocity at the expense of handling and speed (both of which are fairly mediocre on the M1 Garand anyway). Because of its specialty being medium and longer ranges, players will need to drop in with a close-range SMG in the back pocket. Currently, there’s no better option than the PPSh-41 or Armaguerra 43, both of which are dominating pick rates in Season 5. Pair one of those with the M1 Garand and players will be well on their way to earning those all-important victories.

  • Classic MW2 SMG has one of Warzone’s best TTKs but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Classic MW2 SMG has one of Warzone’s best TTKs but there’s a catch ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s most iconic guns actually has one of the best TTKs in Warzone again, however, there is a bit of a catch to it. Over the last few weeks, guns from Modern Warfare 2 have been getting some love again in Warzone, especially as things like the KAR98K and Superi 46 have been nerfed by the devs. Guns like the TR-76 Geist, M16, and STB-556 have all been highlighted as off-meta options by different stats gurus, but they’re not the only viable options from the previous Call of Duty. According to Warzone expert WhosImmortal, the Lachmann Shroud – known to some fans as the MP5 – is back in the meta-reckoning again. However, this time, you need to adopt the TAC Stance way of doing things to harness its true potential. “The Lachmann Shroud, but it’s with the JAK Decimator kit on it which turns it into this fully auto MP5. This build, in particular, is built for TAC Stance because this thing has a crazy TTK at 10 meters, which is prime close-range. 600 ms – that’s up there with the absolute best SMGs,” the YouTuber said. WhosImmortal noted that you do have to go “all in” on mobility, and while you lose a little bit in control, the trade-off is that lightning-fast TTK and having a super aggressive SMG. “It’s an interesting build and you do have to rely on that TAC Stance, which might take some getting used to, but when you land your shots up close, this thing is pretty nasty,” he concluded. Underbarrel: Bruen Bastion Angled – Laser: Kimura RYL33 Laser – Stock: LM Stockless Mod – Magazine: 50 round drum – Conversion Kit: JAK Decimator – Timestamp of 5:25 As noted, guns from Modern Warfare 2 have seen a little of a resurgence – no pun intended – but the Shroud hasn’t totally picked up in popularity just yet. According to WZRanked stats, the SMG sits as the 22nd most popular gun in the battle royale right now, which is a far cry from its dominant days sitting at the top of the charts. It should creep back into the meta at some point, especially given how good it is up close, but that hasn’t been the case just yet.

  • Classic MW2 maps are already in Modern Warfare but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Classic MW2 maps are already in Modern Warfare but there’s a catch There are two classic Modern Warfare 2 maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare but, while fans can see them in the distance, sadly, they aren’t playable – yet. Upon its annoucement, Modern Warfare was labeled as a soft reboot of the popular Call of Duty sub-series from Infinity Ward. While it’s not a direct continuation of the popular story, there still plenty of nods to its predecessors – especially in the campaign. But, when it comes to multiplayer, there hasn’t yet been those rebooted maps that many fans may have been expecting. A few have, of course, been rumored to appear later down the line but as of now, there aren’t any nostalgic settings to actually play through. However, if players take a little closer look at the Ground War map Euphrates Bridge, they’ll be able to spot familiar locations from Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty YouTuber BlameTruth noted that Invasion and Scrapyard are both visible in Modern Warfare – with the former being right above the Ground War map. It’s not just hints and nods to the old map, however, as it is pretty much all there. As for Scrapyard, well, that’s seemingly visible in a Spec Ops mission – complete with those plane tubes that became heaven for anyone running a grenade launcher back in the popular title. The discovery of Scrapyard, at least in one form, isn’t an entirely new thing as one player found a pretty similar-looking map in the open-world sandbox portion of Spec Ops. It’s also been named in previous leaks, with YouTuber TheGamingRevolution, listing it alongside other popular maps like Crash, Rust, and Terminal in the first piece of DLC for Modern Warfare. Now, it’s unknown if these maps will actually be released or if Infinity Ward have just reused them in-game to complete their other locations. It wouldn’t be the first time that has happened, however, as back in Black Ops 3, the map Infection actually used the iconic ‘Carentan’ as a warped wall.

  • Classic MW2 AR is Warzone’s “best” mid-range option with rapid TTK – Dexerto

Classic MW2 AR is Warzone’s “best” mid-range option with rapid TTK ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has highlighted a fan-favorite assault rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that is the “best” option for close to mid-range fights out of the current guns. Over the last few years, Warzone has become an amalgamation of a few different Call of Duty games. Weapons, equipment, skins, perks, and all sorts of other things have come together under the umbrella of the battle royale. However, that has also caused a few issues as well – mainly down the line of weapon imbalances. Players have routinely complained that weapons from the previous game – in this case, Modern Warfare 2 – don’t match up against their newer counterparts. While some may believe that is still the case, even after a few rounds of buffs and nerfs, Warzone guru WhosImmortal disagrees. In fact, he’s even picked out a fan-favorite from MW2 as the best close-to-mid-range gun in the battle royale at the minute. Best Chimera loadout in Warzone for Modern Warfare 3 That’s right, in his February 4 video, WhosImmortal highlighted the Chimera from Modern Warfare as being one of the best assault rifles in the game – especially if you want a sniper support weapon. “Another weapon I feel like people might be sleeping on some is the Chimera. In terms of rifles for close to mid-range, there really is no better option than this,” the YouTuber said. “This thing has got a ridiculously fast TTK in its first damage range, so it’s more like a sniper support style build, but this honestly is a go-to for sure.” The only knock on the Chimera is its magazine capacity. The MW2 favorite can only use a 45-round mag and that takes up one of your attachments. Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor – Barrel: 8.5’ EXF Vorpal – Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled – Optic: Mk.3 Reflector – Magazine: 45-round mag – Timestamp of 1:45 Slipping back into using the Chimera should be easy for any long-time Warzone player, seeing as the AR hasn’t been changed all that much recently. It may not jump right back into the meta and be as popular as it once was in MW2, but it is worth revisiting because it is more than a nostalgia hit.

  • Classic MW2 AR is ‘better than ever’ in Warzone but everyone has stopped using it – Dexerto

Classic MW2 AR is ‘better than ever’ in Warzone but everyone has stopped using it One of Call of Duty’s most iconic weapons is actually a meta option in Warzone again, but it’s been a bit overlooked in recent weeks. With there being over 110 guns in Warzone these days, there are bound to be plenty of sleeper weapons. We’ve seen this recently with the likes of the Holger 26, Tempus Torrent, and MTZ-556 being highlighted by players as underrated options. Some of these sleeper options are weapons that were dominant in earlier seasons and have been nerfed so much that they’ve fallen out of the meta, but have since received small buffs to bring them back into contention. While the M16 hasn’t been completely gutted with nerfs, the JAK Patriot Conversion Kit version of it had fallen behind some others following the start of Season 4. However, Warzone guru WhosImmortal is bigging it up again. “Even over ranger, up to 53 meters, it’s got technically the best TTK out of all of these (meta Assault Rifles) which is kind of unheard of for an MW2 weapon to be this competitive,” the YouTuber said in his June 19 video. “Truly, as it stands right now, the M16 with the Aftermarket Part on it is better than it has ever been before, and it is more competitive than it’s ever been before.” Muzzle: Casus Brake – Underbarrel: Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip – Magazine: 60-round mag – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – Conversion Kit: JAK Patriot – As WhosImmortal points out, the M16 has the second-best TTK of any of the meta ARs in fights up to 15 meters, as it sits just behind the BP50 at 670 ms. From there, and to fights up to 25 meters, the M16 takes off with the same TTK as it doesn’t drop off until its next damage range – which is near 30 meters. The iconic CoD weapon is clearly still a deadly pick in Season 4, and players should definitely be adding it back into their loadouts.

  • Classic MW2 2009 gun sounds return in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 – Dexerto

Classic MW2 2009 gun sounds return in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 ActivisionActivision is adding classic MW2 gun sounds into Warzone 2. The Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio Bundle will arrive in Season 3 giving players the option to use gun sounds from the original Modern Warfare 2. The confirmed arrival of the FJX Imperium, better known as the Intervention, lines up well with this upcoming bundle. Many Call of Duty fans consider the Intervention to be one of the most iconic-sounding guns in the franchise. Warzone 2 isn’t short on guns that also made an appearance in the original MW2. Although the exact guns to feature in The Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio Bundle haven’t been confirmed some possible candidates include the Kastov 762, .50 GS, and PDSW 528. Relive the past with this nostalgic MW2 gun sounds bundle Confirmation of The Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio Bundle was posted as part of a larger development blog. Alongside the Tracer Pack: Dr. Kushlov, Tracer Pack: Anime Boogie, and Inkblot Bundle, the audio bundle will arrive sometime in Season 3. Currently, the specifics of the bundle are largely unknown. It’s coming in Season 3 but if that’s the start or end of the season is to be seen. For now, fans are stuck speculating on what it’ll cost and what guns will feature in it. The general reception on Reddit has been generally positive. One of the most upvoted responses reads: “Now that’s the kind of sh*t that they should be selling instead of BlackCell. Bet that tons of people will buy it just because of the nostalgia value.” However, not everyone is in favor as one fan questioned why they have to pay: “You could just not charge for sounds and let us equip it as an option. But who am I kidding, thousands of people are going to fork over the $20 anyway.” Selling a classic MW2 gun sounds bundle isn’t Activision’s only attempt to appeal to nostalgia in Season 3. Another classic gun that isn’t the Intervention was also leaked.

  • Classic Modern Warfare AR has best TTK in Warzone, but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Classic Modern Warfare AR has best TTK in Warzone, but there’s a catch ActivisionEven though the Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons have taken over the meta, it’s a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare assault rifle that has the best TTK. Though, there is a bit of a catch on that. Following the integration between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, the CoD battle royale now has weapons from three different releases – Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard. With the latter being the newest of the bunch, players are eager to get to grips with the new weaponry, and the meta has become pretty dominated by the Bren, Cooper Carbine, and MP40. Beyond those, there is another handful of Vanguard guns listed in the most popular charts. However, when it comes to TTK (Time-to-Kill), the fastest gun in the game is actually a bit of a Modern Warfare classic. However, there is a slight catch on that stat. The statistical breakdown comes from IceManIsaac, noting that the Grau has the best TTK of all the weapons available to you in Call of Duty: Warzone. However, you have to be pretty accurate with your shots. As per the YouTuber’s breakdown, the iconic assault rifle only holds that claim to the throne if the majority of your shots register in an enemy’s chest. Between 0-30 meters, nothing really comes close to the Grau’s power, as it beats out the STG’s pretty nice STG. After that, though, the Modern Warfare rifle does suffer a bit of a heavy drop-off. It falls behind the STG and all-mighty Bren from around 32 meters onwards, but still holds its own against other popular choices. Meta Grau Warzone loadout Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: Tempus 26.4′ Archangel – Laser: Tac Laser – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 60 round mag – With the Grau being a staple of Warzone, it’s hard for players to not have it unlocked and leveled up fully, meaning it’ll hang around the meta unless bashed with a huge nerf. As per WZRanked, it is currently the eighth most-used weapon in the battle royale, but it could rise back up slowly if players realize it still hits like a truck.

  • Classic Grau returns to Warzone & MW3 with unique SMG loadout attachment – Dexerto

Classic Grau returns to Warzone & MW3 with unique SMG loadout attachment ActivisionThe Grau was once the ultimate meta weapon in Warzone, way back in the earliest days of Verdansk, and now players have spotted one attachment that could bring back the Grau’s perfect iron sights. Way before the Pulemyot, before the RPK, before the DMR, before almost any other Warzone meta, the Grau reigned supreme across Verdansk. Its clean iron sights, impressive damage profile, and minimal recoil made it an absolute beast in the battle royale mode, though it was eventually nerfed and usurped by other guns. Nonetheless, Warzone OGs still love reminiscing about the gun in its heyday, and they may be able to somewhat relive those moments with this SMG attachment that makes the new HRM-9 look just like the Grau in its prime. Grau iron sight attachment in MW3? While a Grau-like SMG doesn’t exactly sound ideal, building out the HRM-9 for longer-range gunfights and using a very specific barrel could bring back some memories of the old Warzone. Introduced in Season 1 Reloaded, the HRM-9 has a barrel called the Princeps Long Barrel which gives an iron sight identical to the Grau of old. To really get it feeling like the Grau with minimal recoil, you’ll want to use the following attachments: Muzzle: JAK BFB – Barrel: Princeps Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip – Magazine: 50 Round Drum – Stock: Folding Stock – Obviously, you’ll want to play around with the gun and its attachments to see if there’s anything that works better for you, but if you’re a fan of the original Grau iron sights in particular, the Princeps Long Barrel is the key attachment to utilize here. This is, though, far from the standard SMG build, but could make for a perfect sniper support in Warzone. If you’re looking for the best meta loadouts in Warzone and need an SMG to keep you afloat, there’s no denying that the WSP Swarm is the best option to keep you competitive.

Classic game mode added to Black Ops 4 Multiplayer, but only for a limited time Treyarch have added one of the more classical game modes to the Black Ops 4 Multiplayer playlist, but it will only be available for a limited time. The popular mode known as Gun Game was added to Black Ops 4 on October 30, as part of a major game update that went live earlier on the same day across all platforms. Gun Game can now be found in the Featured Playlist section of the Multiplayer, and it will be there until 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on November 6. “You know what Halloween needs? Gun Game,” Treyarch tweeted out. “Battle your way through the weapons of Black Ops 4.” It’s not clear whether Gun Game will be just to a seasonal mode, such as it is for Halloween, or if it will eventually be added to the Multiplayer permanently. The premise of Gun Game is simple – six players compete in a free-for-all style match where everyone starts off with the same base weapon. After each kill, a player will receive a new weapon based on a pre-determined list of tiers.

Largely off his showing at the biggest event of the year, he earned himself a substitute spot with the Ultra, but with star names already taking the starting spots, it was unknown if he would get his chance. In their announcement, however, Ultra conspicuously note that this is the starting lineup for their first match, hinting at possible mid-tournament subs. CONFIRMÉ.) 😈#SooUltra | #CDL2020 pic.twitter.com/lmXJcIzbjc — Toronto Ultra (@TorontoUltra) June 18, 2020 Due to leaving Canada, it was rumored that Classic had not been allowed to practice with squad, and was apparently benched. On June 13, Classic simply tweeted “absolute joke,” which many believe was a reaction to his supposed benching. Ultra placed top 4 in the Florida Home Series, but their placing dipped to 7-8th for the Minnesota Home Series. Potentially their fortunes will change, if CleanX can provide the slaying power he’s known to be capable of. But, their first match will be far from an easy introduction to the CDL. Ultra will be going up against Atlanta FaZe, who many put as either their number one or number two team in the game. CleanX will be hoping to put on a showing and prove that his practice while on the substitutes bench has been enough preparation for a starting spot. As for Classic, it looks like he’s relegated to the bench for the time being, but whether this is actually because of his in-game performances is another matter. For a player of his level, a substitute spot will feel a waste of his talents.

  • Classic Cold war AR is still a hidden gem in Warzone – Dexerto

Classic Cold war AR is still a hidden gem in Warzone ActivisionAn oldschool Black Ops Cold War AR has caught the eye of FaZe Booya, who has quickly demonstrated just how lethal it is in Warzone. The Warzone meta constantly shifts with every new update and while the top spots are dominated by Vanguard weapons, there are times when underrated guns fly under the radar. While utilizing the NZ-41 and STG44 will give you a great advantage, following the meta can lead to you missing out on some incredibly powerful picks. In fact, a number of Modern Warfare guns like the Kilo 141 and M4A1 have been creeping into contention, securing top spots within the best Warzone AR tier list. However, there has also been one Cold War gun that continues to go unnoticed by the game’s playerbase. Not only did this deadly weapon used to be a top meta pick, but FaZe Booya has a powerful loadout that demonstrates how the Krig 6 still has what it takes to obliterate foes in Warzone. FaZe Booya has urged Warzone players to try out his Krig 6 loadout, which led to the content creator dropping a whopping 28 kills on Rebirth Island. The Krig 6 used to be an incredibly popular AR choice thanks to its high accuracy and great damage, but the massive weapon changes in Season 3 have pushed it to the sidelines. While the majority of Warzone players utilize Vanguard and Modern Warfare weapons, the Krig is still a decent choice. Currently, this Assault Rifle has a 0.65 K/D, which puts it above the Kil0 141 – another weapon that has been getting a fair amount of attention from the community. Booya’s build predominantly focuses on reducing the gun’s vertical and horizontal recoil, while also greatly bolstering bullet velocity. This makes it perfect for taking down opponents in close to mid-range engagements. As a result, attachments like the Agency Suppressor, 15” CMV Mil-Spec, and Axial Arms 3x have been utilized. After all, being able to take down fully armored foes with both speed and precision is incredibly beneficial to any player looking to secure a dominant victory. Best Krig 6 Warzone loadout Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Barrel: 15” CMV Mil-Spec – Optic: Axial Arms 3x – Magazine: STANAG 60 Rnd – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – It’s certainly not hard to see why FaZe Booya recommended the Krig 6, so make sure you give his loadout a go when you next drop into Rebirth Island. Whether this forgotten AR has what it takes to climb up the Season 4 rankings remains to be seen, but for now, it could well give you the edge.

  • Classic Cold War AR is dominant in Warzone Season 4 again after major buff – Dexerto

Classic Cold War AR is dominant in Warzone Season 4 again after major buff ActivisionWarzone content creator and competitor Swagg has outlined his go-to FFAR class for Season 4, claiming that the classic Black Ops Cold War assault rifle is back to being meta after its major buff. The FFAR once ruled the roost in Call of Duty: Warzone, ascending to the strongest all-round weapon in the battle royale back in Black Ops Cold War’s life-cycle. However, buffs and nerfs in the subsequent seasons have seen it spend much of Vanguard’s life-cycle as a mediocre option, mainly because of its modest damage and volatile recoil. It was buffed in Season 4 – the newest content update for Warzone – which dropped back on June 22. According to competitive player Swagg, it’s back on top following that buff. In a June 24 YouTube video, the Warzone content creator outlined his love for the post-patch FFAR, claiming it’s once again an incredibly strong option for Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep. The patch in question saw it maximum damage range increased to 28.6 meters, up from 25.4 meters, essentially meaning that it does higher damage at longer ranges, taking less shots to kill even when opponents are some way away. Describing it as “ridiculous” and “one of the most sought out” weapons in Warzone, Swagg believes it could dominate Season 4 like it has in previous seasons. He also outlined his class setup, seeking to make the most of the gun’s high fire rate. His loadout is detailed below: Muzzle: Agency Suppressor – Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight – Stock: Raider Stock – Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap – Magazine: Salvo 50 Rnd Fast Mag – With no optics and limited recoil controlling attachments, Swagg’s loadout makes the most of the close to medium range strength of the FFAR. Even with the buff to its damage range, longer-distance gunfights could see players outgunned by more stable weapons like the Kilo 141. You’ll most likely want to run a sniper alongside the FFAR, with no better option currently than the ultra-powerful HDR.

  • Classic CoD party mode returning to Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Classic CoD party mode returning to Modern Warfare ActivisionA classic Call of Duty mode is returning to Modern Warfare this week, alongside a bunch of new content following the launch of Season 4. As always, the powers that be at Modern Warfare are looking to keep content fresh and fun for players and, even though Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 only launched on June 10, Infinity Ward are already bringing players something new. In the first update since Season 4 launched, Modern Warfare gets new cosmetics and a classic Call of Duty party mode making its grand return to the game. In Activision’s ‘This Week in Call of Duty’ blog post, published on June 15, it was revealed that One in the Chamber will be coming to Call of Duty, a Free For All mode with a twist. In One in the Chamber, you start with just a pistol and one bullet; if you get a kill, you get an extra bullet, but if you miss, you’re literally bringing a knife to a gunfight. Health is lowered in One in the Chamber, meaning if you hit your shot, you’re guaranteed the kill, so make sure you’re being as precise as possible when you load into the game. One in the Chamber was one of the incredibly popular Party modes first introduced to Call of Duty back in the first iteration of Black Ops in 2010, alongside Gun Game and Sticks and Stones. Since then, it has made very few appearances in new Call of Duty titles: it was added to Modern Warfare 3 the following year and as a party game in Black Ops 2 the year after that, but then was left on the sidelines until a short-lived resurgence as a limited-time mode in Black Ops 4 in 2019. A couple of weeks prior to the launch of Modern Warfare in October 2019, we reported on a list of modes that were rumored to be added to the game post-launch, and that list included One in the Chamber. Other modes on this list, that haven’t yet made their way to the game, include the likes of Search and Rescue, Defender, and Team Juggernaut. Now, though, One in the Chamber is being added to the game, likely on the usual Tuesday (June 16) patch day, so keep an eye out for a Modern Warfare update on your system very soon.

  • Classic CoD mode leaked for return in Vanguard and it is exactly what the game needs – Dexerto

Classic CoD mode leaked for return in Vanguard and it is exactly what the game needs ActivisionWith Vanguard Season 2 right around the corner, a classic mode familiar to CoD fans has been leaked, and it could be just what is needed to kickstart this year’s struggling installment. Despite the slight delay, hype is growing for CoD Vanguard Season 2. A new ranked mode is confirmed to be on the way, while a new battle pass crammed with weapons and skins is all but guaranteed. But after Vanguard’s troubled launch, fans might be hoping for something more drastic to shake up the game’s multiplayer, and give them a reason to keep coming back. Luckily, the calls may have been answered. If a leak is to be believed, the classic Ground War mode is set to return in Season 2. And the feeling is that the addition could “save” Vanguard. Ground War leaked for CoD Vanguard Season 2 Ground War has been a staple of the CoD series for many years, as far back as Call of Duty 4. Based on an alleged leaked image from Vanguard Season 2, posted by Hydra9114 on Twitter, it appears that the revamped version we saw in 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot could be on the way. That iteration of Ground War took plenty of cues from Battlefield’s Conquest modes. Players had five Domination-style points to capture on custom-built maps and could spawn on teammates or any location controlled by their team. The leaked image seems to show a possible large Ground War map, made up of multiple notable landmarks. One of which is marked as Castle, which could hint that the World at War map remade for Vanguard will be integrated. https://twitter.com/Hydra9114/status/1484692007159316481?s=20&t=2yZ_Wd9bNjn8MYBJR5p_fg The mode was a popular addition when it came to Modern Warfare 2019, and it could be the shot in the arm that this year’s installment needs. CoD YouTuber TheXclusiveAce felt that Ground War could be the way to drag players back to Vanguard multiplayer. “If they copied and pasted that formula and, of course, brought in some brand new unique maps that are designed specifically for Ground War,” he said in a recent video. “I think this is the sort of thing that could bring back a ton of players that Vanguard has lost.” “This is like playing a totally different game. I do feel this could, sort of, save Vanguard,” he continued. “It would even bring more Warzone players back over to the multiplayer side.” CoD Vanguard showed plenty of promise in the beginning, but there’s no doubt that the fan reception has soured in recent weeks. The return of this classic Call of Duty mode could be just what is needed to get the community back onside.

  • Classic CoD Maps revealed in Modern Warfare 3 Warzone leak – Dexerto

Classic CoD Maps revealed in Modern Warfare 3 Warzone leak ActivisionJust as Warzone 2 did, a Modern Warfare 3 leak revealed the use of classic maps as battle royale POIs. Warzone 2 gave long-time series fans a rush of nostalgia by using classic maps as POIs. MW2s (2009) Highrise, MW3’s Dome, and COD 4’s Showdown highlight a few of the battle royale sequel’s callbacks. Community members had hoped that those POIs would also feature in Multiplayer as 6v6 maps, but those ambitions were thwarted. Multiple COD leakers revealed that a “greatest hits map pack” would be coming to Modern Warfare 2 in 2023 as a paid expansion. The DLC would feature classic maps from Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer’s catalog, celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Activision reportedly changed plans and decided to release a full-fledged title instead of DLC. Fortunately for fans, Modern Warfare 3 may at least provide some form of a throwback. COD 4 and MW3 (2011) maps revealed in Modern Warfare 3 On July 25, Warzone 2 streamer Metaphor revealed: “Downtown is VERY Verdansk-like, with the biggest building being “Overwatch” from MW3 DLC at the top, very reminiscent of Blackout’s construction site.” The reliable leaker also said Countdown from COD 4 is a POI in the new Warzone map. As for how the new Warzone map plays, Metaphor claimed: “This map has a ton of Verdansk inspiration and little to no inspiration from Mazrah / Caldera.” Metaphor further alleged that there are fewer open fields and more building-based battles. Tom Henderson previously reported that Las Almas, a Modern Warfare 2 campaign map, will be MW3’s fully-fledged battle royale map. Metaphor has been correct in the past with his leaks, but it’s important to take all unconfirmed information with a pinch of salt. Activision confirmed there will be a Modern Warfare 3 reveal event in Warzone 2 but have yet to choose a date.

  • Classic CoD gun potentially coming to Warzone after Cold War map hint – Dexerto

Classic CoD gun potentially coming to Warzone after Cold War map hint ActivisionSome Black Ops Cold War players have found a classic Call of Duty gun hidden in one of the new maps, and it could hint at the weapon arriving in BOCW and Warzone sooner rather than later. Each season brings multiple new guns, maps, modes and more to both Cold War and the Warzone battle royale. It’s always an exciting time and, more often than not, a new weapon means a shift in the meta. With Season 4 Reloaded, the OTs 9 submachine gun arrived and it’s a solid weapon, not quite competing with the very best such as the Mac 10 or MP5, but still definitely packs a punch. Possibly coming in future seasons though, players have found a classic weapon on the newly-remastered map Rush. The MG36 LMG (and the assault rifle variant, the G36C), has been a staple in Call of Duty games dating all the way back to CoD 4: Modern Warfare. And Cold War player ShinyLotad22 has found it hidden in plain sight on Rush. As you can see in the screenshot below, ShinyLotad found the weapon in a glass case on Rush, which only arrived in Cold War Season 4, and many are suggesting that this could be a hint of things to come. Of course, this might not necessarily be the case. Treyarch could just be paying homage to the weapon that has become so popular throughout the years. The MG 82 LMG only arrived in Cold War and Warzone very recently, so we might not see the MG36 in the game too soon, but we shouldn’t write it off completely.

  • Classic Call of Duty titles storm Xbox Store’s top-selling list after matchmaking fix – Dexerto

Classic Call of Duty titles storm Xbox Store’s top-selling list after matchmaking fix Activision/XboxClassic Call of Duty games have staged an impressive comeback, topping the Xbox Store’s best-selling list after an unexpected matchmaking fix and a recent sale. A tweet by CharlieIntel shows that older Call of Duty titles have claimed all five of the top “Best Sellers” spots on the Xbox Store. At the top of the list is Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012), closely followed by Modern Warfare 2 (2009), Black Ops (2010), and the Modern Warfare II Cross-Gen Bundle. Even Call of Duty MW3 (2011) appears above Diablo IV to claim the fifth spot at the time of writing. The rising popularity of classic Call of Duty titles follows after a July 13 alert from Charlie Intelt hat Activision seemingly fixed the matchmaking issue with older Call of Duty games on Xbox 360. They also noted that Activision is yet to explain the sudden fix, but it might be linked to Microsoft’s pending acquisition of Activision. And while Microsoft isn’t yet in a position to command such fixes, it makes sense that they would want the games from their soon-to-be-acquired company to be fully functional. In another surprising reveal on July 17, the Twitter account ModernWarzone posted that the player count for these decade-old Call of Duty games was higher than that of Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042 combined. IdleSloth84 supported this claim with screenshots showing the tremendous influx of players since the matchmaking fixes: Black Ops I – 123,852 players – Black Ops II – 11,514 players – Modern Warfare 3 – 79,619 players – These numbers could include bots and have sometimes shown inaccurate figures, so they should be taken with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the Xbox Top Selling list confirms the heightened interest in these older titles. Many gamers consider the Call of Duty titles from 2007 to 2012 as the best in the series, with games such as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Black Ops II at the top of the list. And now, with the rise of these classic Call of Duty titles in the Xbox Store’s best-selling games list, there’s no doubt that these ‘golden era’ games have been missed.

  • Classic Black Ops 2 map coming to CoD Mobile in Season 11 for Halloween – Dexerto

Classic Black Ops 2 map coming to CoD Mobile in Season 11 for Halloween ActivisionThe Call of Duty Mobile devs have confirmed the return of a fan-favorite map in the form of the Halloween version of Black Ops 2’s Standoff. With Call of Duty Mobile’s tenth season drawing to a close, fans have been hoping to see some new details start to surface – be it from leakers or the devs confirming or teasing something themselves. In recent community updates, the developers have started to drop a few hints – confirming that there will be multiple new weapons coming in Season 11, as well as a new scorestreak – but, for the most part, they’re keeping major changes a secret. With the game also first its one-year anniversary of launching, they have started to ramp up teasers on social media – with the first of these confirming the return of a fan-favorite map. On October 2, the devs tweeted out their first proper hint at a new map for Season 11 with a blurry photo. “Something spooky lurks this way. Coming to COD Mobile in the next season!” read the teasing caption. It wasn’t hard for some fans to figure out that they’re teasing the return of the Halloween variant of Standoff. Fans quickly pointed to the tank on the left side of the image and the broken wall on the near right side as being the key giveaways. The map was added to COD Mobile back in October of 2019 and proved to be hugely popular, however, it was removed a few weeks later – with players hoping for its return ever since. https://twitter.com/PlayCODMobile/status/1312422162763001857 As for what else the devs could add in Season 11? Well, they’ve already promised a handful of surprises, but they are playing their cards close to their chest for the most part. With the new season update not too far away, they’ll likely drop a few more clues about what’s coming next, so we’ll just have to cast a keen eye over things.

  • A classic Black Ops 1 map is coming to Black Ops 4 – Dexerto

A classic Black Ops 1 map is coming to Black Ops 4 A new teaser has revealed that the old favorite WMD map from Black Ops 1 is set to make an appearance in Black Ops 4. Treyarch showcased a new teaser trailer for an upcoming operation in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and it’s set to bring WMD into the game. This is a map players will have fond memories of if they played Blacks Ops 1, the game that started the successful Black Ops franchise. For those who haven’t previously played it, it’s still a good map that is being added to the game. Just how will it be added? One thing that wasn’t made clear from the teaser trailer is how WMD will be implemented into the game. With Black Ops 4 there are a couple of ways this could be done. The most obvious way would to just include it as another multiplayer map, which is probably the format most players are expecting. Another option would be to add it as a location to the Blackout map. The original Blackout map is a mash-up of popular Black Ops locations over the year and WMD would certainly make a good addition to it. What would be a pleasant surprise is if Treyarch decided to drop the map in both Blackout and multiplayer, essentially giving players the best of both worlds. When does the next operation come out? Black Ops 4’s next operation is currently set for an April 30 release date which is when we can probably expect to see WMD enter the game. Treyarch also teased a variety of new things coming with the update but didn’t really dive into too many details as to what those will be. As the release date for this operation draws closer, we can expect to hear more about the upcoming update.

  • Classic Advanced Warfare weapon spotted in Rebirth Island trailer – Dexerto

Classic Advanced Warfare weapon spotted in Rebirth Island trailer The Rebirth Island trailer for Warzone Season 3 didn’t just reveal that the fan-favorite Resurgence map is back but also that Advanced Warfare’s MORS sniper rifle looks to be making a return too. As expected of a Call of Duty game set in the distant future, Advanced Warfare featured a range of futuristic weapons that utilized groundbreaking sci-fi technology. One of these weapons was the MORS, a bolt action railgun with fast handling that made it popular for quickscoping. Ten years on and the MORS looks to be making its return with the bolt action sniper rifle appearing in the Rebirth Island trailer. A version of the MORS without a scope attached shows up near the end of the trailer held by a female soldier riding a helicopter. Assuming that the classic Advanced Warfare sniper does feature in Season 3 then it will be its first return to a Call of Duty game since 2014. It was supposed to appear in COD Mobile as an Operator Skill but was later cut for unknown reasons. Given how previous DLC weapons have been added to MW3 and Warzone, the MORS should be unlocked by progressing through the Season 3 Battle Pass and completing its respective segment. The MORS is not the only iconic Advanced Warfare weapon expected to make a comeback in Season 3. Leaks surfaced that the BAL-27 will also make an appearance bringing back the AW assault rifle that once dominated multiplayer. It will be interesting to see how the MORS affects Warzone’s meta with one-shot snipers becoming much more prevalent in Season 2 after the XRK Stalker was buffed.

In this week’s episode, we discuss the upcoming release of Black Ops Cold War Season 1, the launch of Warzone’s Rebirth Island and the new Gulag system, how cheating is still a major issue in Call of Duty, and whether bringing back old maps from previous CoD titles is the right decision. December 15 and 16 sees huge changes arriving for CoD fans. The 15th sees Black Ops Cold War’s first update, bringing a slew of new features to the game for fans to enjoy. Operators, maps, new modes, and Zombies content means everybody has something that suits their taste. The 16th sees the arrival of Rebirth Island, Warzone’s new map. It’s a smaller, more challenging map – while there are fewer combatants, the smaller size means players have to constantly be on their guard while navigating the terrain. This is taken one step further with the Gulag overhaul, making it that much harder for players to return to the action. Bobby Poff joins Mike to discuss his huge success on Warzone, what changes he would make to the mode, and the massive sacrifices he made to pursue his dream of content creation. He also covers how Keemstar and his Warzone Wednesday tournament helped launch his rise to fame, his thoughts on Black Ops Cold War, and the sacrifices he had to make to become a streamer. Chipotle Warzone Challenger winners explain how they dominated matches Chipotle [jwplayer kCHVIVxy]Following their victory in the $50,000 Chipotle Challenger Series’ Warzone Challenge on April 30, the winning team’s captain ‘Almxnd’ gave some insight on their mentality coming in as well as how they were able to be so successful. Out of all the invited big-name teams competing in the Chipotle Warzone Challenge Finale, it was one of the 32 qualifier squads that ended up last ones standing, taking home the $25,000 and a year’s worth of burritos. AlmxndTV, FluffyHippo1927, Intechs, and Insxte, who qualified all the way back in week one, put up 97, 96, 81, and 75 points in their four matches to finish with a total of 349, a whopping 34 more than the second-place team. But how were they so successful? Speaking with caster Chris Puckett and Clint ‘Maven’ Evans following the event, Almxnd explained how it all started with them having a “chip on their shoulder.” “Not a lot of people know us, we mostly just play Warzone wagers and competitive tournaments in the CoD community. But we’re all kind of nasty.” “No one really knows who we are, so we did really have a bit of a chip on our shoulder, I guess,” he added, when Maven asked him about being left out of most invite-only competitions. Confidence is key in these types of tournaments, and the team captain admitted that they came in feeling as though they were one of the best in the field. “I definitely knew we were one of the top teams, one of the teams we were worried about was Dillster, Gangstaz,” he said. “In the first qualifier, we got second and that was the team that beat us. Besides that though, there weren’t really many teams I was worried about.” Read More: Warzone April 30 update brings back Bounties – As for how they were able to put up such high-kill games and monstrous points, Almxnd gave a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes strategies that paved their path to victory. “Our strat, I would grab a helicopter and the rest of our team would land at Superstore. I’d fly the heli to them, we’d slay out Superstore, and then just take the heli around the map basically. We’d usually two-two split, sometimes three-one. We were just chasing dots around the map, basically, with UAVs.” You can check out the full interview below, starting at the 4:16:00 mark of the tournament VOD. It’s never easy to compete against the world’s best Warzone players, and even more so when the opposition includes some of the biggest content creators, athletes, and celebrities around. That was the pressure faced by Unrational and Stu, a duo that wasn’t invited and had to earn their spot via a separate qualifier tourney. However, despite coming up against such strong competition, they were able to find success in Verdansk and escape with the first-place prize. “It was definitely something a little different,” Unrational said of having to play Duos. “We practiced a little bit beforehand. We landed our first two games at Superstore and wiped, dying off the rip right away. So, we decided to go to the bank a little past Superstore, loot up, get our loadout, and then we would both just split up on our own and do our own thing every game.” With the scoring format awarding one point per kill and five for each match win, the champions put up games of 60, 58, 56, and 54, for an overall score of 228 points. While their performance was very impressive, the victory was far from easy, as they were barely able to beat the second-place team of Honokai and Pacesetter by just eight points. In fact, as fate would have it, Unrational and Stu ran into the runner-ups in their final game before the timer ran out, and that ended up proving to be a crucial moment in determining who finished on top. Read More: Mysterious CoD 2020 Red Door listing spotted – “That was absolutely absurd,” Unrational recounted. “We ran into Superstore and Stu died, and I said let’s go over to gas [station] … and some kid busted the door down and Stu just pooped on him. And then he was just like ‘wait, that was Pacesetter,’ and I said ‘they’re on their last game.’ It was insane.” So they were that close to potentially dying at the hands of the second-place duo, who could have used that as an opportunity to springboard into first place. Those are the kinds of margins that separate one team taking home $25,000 from another ending empty-handed. • Chino explains OpTic Gaming CDL situation after getting benched again – Dexerto

Chino explains OpTic Gaming CDL situation after getting benched again OpTic Gaming / CDL[jwplayer qYU9URvL]Veteran pro player Martin Chino has provided an update on his situation with OpTic Gaming Los Angeles in the Call of Duty League. After being forced to the fringes of the bench at the start of the newly formed Call of Duty League, Chino was given a chance at redemption when he was promoted to the starting lineup in May. However, it appears that his stint as a member of the main squad has been short-lived, as the longtime competitor posted a video on July 6 strongly suggesting he’d been relegated to the substitute’s role yet again. “Last night, I was pretty upset, mad, angry, frustrated, but at the end of the day, those guys are some of my best friends and my teammates,” he said. “If they felt the decisions were the best for the team, I’m not going to be frustrated by it. It’s just hard.” “Who knows, maybe I’ll get a chance to play at Champs or something like that if the team needs me, and next year, hopefully, I can become a starter and try do my best with what I’m given.” This video comes after Chino expressed his frustrations in a series of July 5 tweets, which a lot of fans interpreted as a sign that he’d been removed from the lineup, even though no roster changes have been officially announced. “Never appreciated, always a second option,” he wrote. “Tired of not putting myself first.” After starting the season on the OGLA bench, along with fellow veteran Goonjar, Chino was brought in to replace the struggling JKap in the Green Wall’s starting lineup. The team showed instant signs of improvements, advancing all the way to the grand final of the Florida Home Series before another top-four finish at CDL Seattle. However, that success quickly evaporated when they were eliminated in the first round of the most recent tournament – hosted by Paris Legion – after many were starting to rekindle the same high expectations they had for the squad from prior to the season. Read More: CDL Playoffs and Champs to be played online – The question now turns to who will be replacing the veteran in the lineup; all indications are that OpTic will not be bringing back JKap and instead are looking to sign two players from the amateur Challengers circuit, a strategy that has worked for other teams like the Subliners (Mack) and Mutineers (Owakening). According to reports, the two amateurs that OGLA are considering are Drazah and Hollow, both of whom currently play for UYU. We could see one replace Chino while the other is reportedly set to take the place of superstar Dashy, whose inconsistent performances this year have drawn criticism from fans and pundits alike, despite his status as one of the esport’s greats. Of course, none of this can be considered a done deal until OpTic Gaming make an official announcement, which they haven’t at the time of publication. It might be a while before we see something like that, however, considering that they won’t be playing in the upcoming New York Home Series and their next appearance won’t be until CDL London July 17.

  • Chicago Huntsmen’s General reveals personal reason he changed last name – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen’s General reveals personal reason he changed last name MLGJordon ‘General’ General is the all-important sixth man on the Call of Duty League’s Chicago Huntsmen, and has explained to co-CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez why he changed his surname to General before he started competing. For many, it wasn’t a secret that General wasn’t his real last name, but the common belief was that he changed it simply to match his in-game alias, perhaps as a branding opportunity. However, he has explained in an episode of the Eavesdrop Podcast with H3CZ that this isn’t actually the case, and that he changed it to General for very personal reasons in 2014. When H3CZ asked him to explain the name change – something General’s mom did, too – Jordon said that it was actually due to issues with his biological father. Saying that the man who raised him since he was two years old is his “real dad,” General said that he had a strained relationship with his biological father, which reached its end in 2014, just before he started competing. “My biological father kind of scumbagged me,” he says. “In 2014, my brother Joey was killed, and I wasn’t able to go to his funeral, and that really enraged me. And, since he wasn’t part of my life (my biological father), that was the last straw for me.” General says that for that reason, he didn’t want to carry his last name anymore, so he went through with the process to remove any link between him and his biological father. The former Enigma6 star concluded by saying that his real dad has raised him since he was two years old, and that they’re a happy family, with H3CZ adding that “family ain’t always blood.” This news will come as somewhat of a surprise to many General fans, and CoD esports fans at large, as he has never previously opened up about this part of his life, but it accentuates further why he should be incredibly proud of how far he’s come.

  • Chicago Huntsmen’s Arcitys defends himself over “costing” accusations – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen’s Arcitys defends himself over “costing” accusations Call of Duty League[jwplayer f0fM1jDl]Chicago Huntsmen Call of Duty star Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson has hit out at people “beating him while he’s down” and accusing him of “costing” his teammates at CDL Toronto. Toronto was the final Home Series of the regular season, with teams confirming their seeding ahead of the Call of Duty League Playoffs. At the event, Chicago Hunstmen were shockingly knocked out of the tournament in 5-6th place by an OpTic Gaming Los Angeles side who have struggled to string together wins this season — especially against top opposition While the match result was a surprise, Arcitys and his teammates likely don’t appreciate rival fans, or even their own fans, sending them hate about it. That is the reality, though, and Arcitys has addressed the naysayers, calling them out during a livestream on July 27. After kicking up the stream to play in a series of 10s with fellow pro players, the Assault Rifle player spoke to his chat to discuss the situation. “Most of you are real ones, but those of you who beat me down when I’m already down… you guys are f**kers,” he said to his chat. “They say, ‘how do you lose that dude? It was OGLA.’ Oh, man, can you get off my sack?” He then complained about having to play 10s to “build chemistry,” adding that he’s playing with Drazah who had just knocked him out of the tournament. “I’m literally getting told I need to play more Call of Duty,” he continued, before mimicking fans of the team, who tell him he’s “costing Seth [Scump].” To them, his response was that he has “the most engagements of any AR,” proving how much he does on the map. Later in the stream, Arcitys also voiced some frustrations with his teammates, saying that he tries to discuss and analyze their gameplay, but gets nothing in response. “I sit there and make a speech after we lose a match and they’re just sitting there saying ‘Yo, thanks for the subscription.’ So I just had a 10-minute conversation with Troy [Sender] about getting better.” Needless to say, Arcitys is obviously not satisfied with the state of things right now, especially since his team’s loss to OGLA at CDL Toronto. With Champs right around the corner, the Huntsmen will be looking to get everything in order to give them the best chance of winning — but it won’t just be the team they’ve got to answer to, as the fans’ expectations for them might just be even higher.

  • Chicago Huntsmen suffer upset loss in CDL Dallas semifinals – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen suffer upset loss in CDL Dallas semifinals CDL – YouTubeDespite coming into day three of the Dallas Empire Home Series as overwhelming favorites to advance to the grand final, the Chicago Huntsmen found themselves on the wrong end of an upset and the hands of Florida Mutineers. Along with the Empire, Huntsmen came into CDL Dallas as one of the heavy favorites to contend for the tournament trophy, having already won an event in London this season. The lone obstacle remaining on their road to the grand final were the Florida Mutineers, who had dealt Chicago their only loss earlier this campaign in the semis of CDL Atlanta. Things started positively for the boys in green, who looked on their way to avenge that defeat with a 250-199 win on Gun Runner Hardpoint. However, that would turn out to be their first and only map win of the series, as Florida reeled off three in a row to book their ticket to the final. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249438793029074944 A 6-4 win on Picadilly Search & Destroy tied up the series, before one of the more one-sided Domination matches of the season, a 193-125 win, saw the southerners take a 2-1 lead. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1249448046229929986 Chicago’s final stand came on Azhir Cave Hardpoint but their efforts came up short, as Mutineers sealed the 3-1 series victory with a 250-222 win. At this point, Mutineers have already established themselves as Huntsmen’s kryptonite, as they’re the only team Chicago have lost to this season and it’s now happened twice. Further adding insult to injury is the fact that both losses have come at the semifinal stage of events, so Florida have denied now twice denied them a chance to win their second, and maybe even third, tournament. While some fans might want to blame the CDL’s new online format for this result, Huntsmen star Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson was quick to rule that out on Twitter, as he and teammate Seth ‘Scump’ Abner blamed only themselves. Florida will face the winner of Dallas Empire vs Minnesota ROKKR in the Grand Final. This is their second finals appearance, the first coming at CDL Atlanta, where they looked overwhelmed in a one-sided 3-0 defeat to FaZe. Read More: CDL Dallas Day 2 recap & highlights – Mutineers will hope that the result will be more competitive this time around as they look to complete an improbable run that saw them lose their first match of the event followed by three straight wins in elimination games. • Huntsmen rebrands to OpTic Chicago in the Call of Duty League – Dexerto

Huntsmen rebrands to OpTic Chicago in the Call of Duty League Riot GamesChicago’s Call of Duty League franchise is rebranding the OpTic name from 2021, following the news that Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez regained the legendary organization that became an iconic name in esports. It’s been three years since H3CZ sold OpTic Gaming, but regained control of the brand he built when he purchased it back from Immortals Gaming Club in early October. Since then, fans have clamored for his current team, the Chicago Huntsmen, to rebrand and finally reunite Rodriguez with OpTic Gaming permanently. With Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and 100 Thieves purchasing the Los Angeles franchise that OpTic occupied last season, it seemed like only a matter of time before Chicago Huntsmen became OpTic Chicago. As first reported by The Esports Observer, just four days after the LA Thieves were revealed, OpTic Gaming confirmed Rodriguez had reacquired the brand. Starting with the 2021 Call of Duty League season, HECZ’s Chicago OpTic will compete against the 11 other franchises that make up the franchised competition, complete with new branding as they represent the city where the organization became a household name in gaming. https://twitter.com/OpTicGaming/status/1326570634306936835 The full statement from OpTic Gaming and the Immortals Gaming Club: H3CZ sold OpTic Gaming to Infinite Esports & Entertainment in 2017, but issues with the new owners and the decision to sell the organization to Immortals Gaming Club ahead of the first season of the Call of Duty League saw him partner up with NRG Esports to create the Chicago Huntsmen. Many fans decided to follow H3CZ to the Chicago Huntsmen, with OpTic Gaming Los Angeles receiving criticism throughout the season from fans upset to see the team they loved competing under different owners. Huntsmen would go on to have a successful season, winning two Home Series events, while second place was the best finish OGLA could muster during what turned out to be a difficult season. Now, players like Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, who won a world championship with OpTic Gaming in 2017, look set to compete under the banner once again. Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell will spend his third consecutive year with the team, while Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon will become a member of the Green Wall for the first time. While Chicago will be represented by OpTic next year, that doesn’t mean that the Huntsmen name will disappear completely, with the organization planning to find creative ways to continue the Huntsmen legacy moving forward. The announcement sees two of Call of Duty’s most recognizable names back in the scene, with LA Thieves and OpTic Chicago send to do battle again for the first time since the Black Ops 4 season.

  • Chicago Huntsmen rumored to add Prestinni to CDL roster – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen rumored to add Prestinni to CDL roster Florida Mutineers / CDLRecent Call of Duty League rumors suggest that the Florida Mutineers’ Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson may be joining the Chicago Huntsmen, pending league approval. Two messy situations, one clean solution. Weeks after Prestinni’s Mutineers upset his twin, Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson’s Huntsmen on stage in Atlanta, the brothers seem likely to meet again—this time on the same team. Both Chicago and Florida still sit in the top five of the Call of Duty League’s standings, but neither appears comfortable with its roster as recent performances and consequent player reshuffling have left fans and the players unenthused. Emotional postgame interview after @Prestinni’s win over twin brother @Arcitys at #CDL2020 Atlanta 😢 pic.twitter.com/CsNwtn0ETW — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) February 23, 2020 After choosing not to play in March due to personal reasons, Prestinni lost his starting position to Maurice “Fero” Henriquez. He has not played a match since, while the Mutineers have gone 5-6. As for the Huntsmen, after starting the season with eight consecutive wins, they have since gone a mediocre 4-4 and subsequently made what ended up being a dramatic decision to bench Peirce “Gunless” Hillman for Jordon “General” General. Now, caster Alan “IHOLDSHIFT” Donofrio is reporting rumors that Prestinni is heading to Chicago, in a move that may steady each team’s turbulence: “Prestinni, not an option anymore … It’s waiting on league approval, but apparently Chicago has bought Prestinni away from Florida.” While Florida has been just about average with Prestinni on the bench, Fero has not been the problem. The former substitute put up 477 kills at his first event for the Mutineers, eclipsing a former CDL record. With his spot relatively secure and rumors buzzing, Prestinni doesn’t seem likely to swap roles and, instead, should be playing elsewhere for the latter half of this CDL season. Meanwhile, after Gunless reacted to his impromptu benching by criticizing his teammates for not having “the f***ing cojones to send a text message,” it’s clear that the formerly formidable Huntsmen roster is in disarray. This opens up a clear avenue for Prestinni, who has the versatility to run either SMG or AR, to join Chicago. Aside from his play, the locker-room impact is a major bonus as he and Arcitys are not just brothers, but former teammates from the eUnited squad that won the Call of Duty World League Championship in 2019. Seemingly perplexed at the rumors, Prestinni sent out an “Uh, good morning?” Tweet today—neither confirming nor denying any possibilities. In the past, he’s been fairly quick to dispel rumors so this may be him simply fanning the flames a little in anticipation of an announcement. With the Mutineers content to move on, the Huntsmen, should the rumors come true, are poised to revamp their roster for the better, regain focus and return to their place atop the standings.

  • Chicago Huntsmen reveal what roster moves they would make if they had to – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen reveal what roster moves they would make if they had to Chicago HuntsmenIn a March 31 YouTube upload, the Chicago Huntsmen Call of Duty League team were forced to choose which players they would pick up if they lost certain teammates – and built some incredible squads in the process. With the CDL currently out of action thanks to the ongoing worldwide situation, not many teams are able to provide the usual content that comes from events, but luckily for us the Huntsmen had some in their reserves. In this video, the players were tasked to spin a wheel, which featured an image of each player and coach on the team, and pick which other CDL pro they would replace said player with. Gunless opted to replace Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannan and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner with another formidable SMG duo in Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris. Conversely, Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson would choose to replace himself and Envoy with Atlanta FaZe’s Preston ‘Priestahh’ Griener and either Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr or Tyler ‘Abezy’ Pharris. Scump said he would take NRG content creator Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards for Mboze, and Seattle Surge’s Sam ‘Octane’ Larew for Arcitys, while Envoy would replace Arcitys with Priestahh and Scump with Minnesota ROKKR’s Obey ‘Asim’ Asim. It wasn’t just the starting players who got involved, though, with the likes of Hitch, Marcus ‘Mboze’ Blanks and CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez even picking replacements – with the latter making perhaps the most interesting choice of all, saying he would bring in 100 Thieves founder Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag to replace Envoy. Although there’s clearly no serious intent behind this, it’s interesting to see which teams these players would form if their hands were forced – and nobody can deny they would be interested to see Nadeshot back on main stage again. Of course, these are all hypothetical, but the idea of Chicago stacking their roster with the likes of Octane, Simp or Priestahh sounds utterly terrifying for their CDL opponents.

  • Chicago Huntsmen release Arcitys and Prestinni from CDL roster – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen release Arcitys and Prestinni from CDL roster Chicago HuntsmenLongtime duo and Professional Call of Duty twins Alec ‘Arcitys’ and Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson have been released by Chicago Huntsmen, the organization announced on Tuesday, September 8. Arcitys played with the Huntsmen from the very start of the 2020 season, while Prestinni joined his brother mid-way through the season, after leaving Florida Mutineers. Reuniting as a duo, the pair improved the Huntsmen squad overall, but it wasn’t enough at the final event of the year, where they just fell short of the mark, eliminated by Atlanta FaZe and bowing out in third. Other than Prestinni’s time at Mutineers, the pair had never not played together on the same team in their professional careers. Being released simultaneously could mean that they plan to stick together on their next roster too, perhaps finding the time apart from each other not conducive to their performances. Huntsmen thanked the pair and wished them the best for the upcoming season. • Chicago Huntsmen increase CDL Challengers prize pool after fan criticism – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen increase CDL Challengers prize pool after fan criticism Chicago Huntsmen / Activision / Daniel SchwenJust a day removed from receiving criticism for their ‘minimum’ prize pool, Chicago Huntsmen announced that they are more than doubling the amount of cash on the line for the Challengers event at their upcoming Call of Duty League home series. The Chicago Call of Duty franchise has felt a little bit of heat this past week, but it’s not because of their shocking semifinals loss to the Mutineers at CDL Atlanta or their new partnership with Zippo. The Huntsmen drew attention from some of its own fans on February 25, when they announced a $400 Challengers Pass, which amateur teams will require at the Chicago Challengers Open. Ready to compete? A day later, the franchise acknowledged the feedback they had received from their original announcement and revealed a new prize pool of $25,000, more than twice as much as what was originally listed. Go here: https://t.co/N8sQooeZh9 pic.twitter.com/4StSzHdbFC — OpTic Texas (@OpTicTexas) February 26, 2020 A number of fans and players complained that $10,000, the minimum prize pool figure by CDL Challengers standards, wasn’t enough. Several noticed that it was the lowest prize pool of any Challengers event announced so far. I promise u no top am team is getting hyped to meet the huntsmen. They’d much rather have more money than a meet and greet with scump. — uh (@psycohype) February 25, 2020 Other users online argued that the level of competition is high enough that additional prizes like a meet-and-greet and coach analysis aren’t that enticing, and that they’d rather earn more prize money than meet the pros. Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail turned up the heat on the Huntsmen a little more, posting on his Twitter account less than two hours later that the Challengers event at the Dallas Empire’s home series would feature a $25,000 prize pool. He made a point to mention the extra $15,000 the organization was adding in to support the scene. We tossed in an extra $15k of our own organization’s money into the prize pool because we care about all of you grinders. GLHF. More on Thursday. — Mike Rufail (@hastr0) February 25, 2020 The two teams have not been shy in dissing out banter towards each other, and Empire star Clayster couldn’t help himself in his team owner’s replies. H3CZ admitted he had to restrain the urge to fire back. I can jab back super hard right now, But, I won’t. BUT just know that I can. — OpTic HecZ (@H3CZ) February 25, 2020 But a day later, Huntsmen did counter the Empire again, with the announcement that they had their prize pool up to the $25,000 mark. They acknowledged their feedback from fans, saying “We heard you.” Team passes for the Chicago Challengers Open, as well as the Los Angeles Open, are both still available in the MLG store. The LA event, hosted by OpTic Gaming and Guerrillas takes place much sooner, March 7-8, while Chicago’s takes place at the beginning of April.

  • Chicago Huntsmen confirm Prestinni as new CDL signing – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen confirm Prestinni as new CDL signing Chicago Huntsmen have revealed Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson as their latest major signing for the Call of Duty League team. The World Champion’s transfer was announced by the Huntsmen on May 18, finally confirming that he would be departing from the Florida Mutineers and rejoining his brother Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson on the Chicago side. He had been rumored to be joining the org in recent weeks and such talk has turned out to be accurate. The reunion between the brothers will be a welcome one for fans of CoD esports, too, and his new team welcomed him with open arms in a tweet – as seen below. Huntsmen substitute Jordon ‘General’ General had been practicing with Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, and Arcitys amid the rumors of a roster change, though it appears he will likely resume his place on the substitute bench following the acquisition of Prestinni. The last time the twins played together was in August 2019, with their huge World Championship win on eUnited alongside Atlanta FaZe’s Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr and Tyler ‘Abezy’ Pharris, as well as Dallas Empire’s James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks. If the success they had together during their most recent stint is replicated even closely in the coming months, Huntsmen may have finally found the secret to returning to championship form. What happens with Gunless remains to be seen. In a tweet posted shortly after the announcement, NRG co-CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez thanked the Canadian for being a “stand-up dude,” adding that they “hope they can find him a home soon.” I would also like to thank @Gunless for being a stand up dude during the process and hope we can find him a home soon. Chemistry is a T1 component of any successful organization and sometimes things just don’t work out. I appreciate him as a person and a player. — OpTic HecZ (@H3CZ) May 18, 2020 This certainly looks to be the end of Gunless’ time as a Chicago Huntsmen player, and only time will tell where he ends up by the end of the season. One thing is clear, though: with the twins back together, the pressure is now on to prove that the best decision was made, and to bring yet another trophy to Huntsmen’s cabinet.

  • Chicago Huntsmen & Atlanta FaZe rumored to make major CoD roster changes – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen & Atlanta FaZe rumored to make major CoD roster changes Activision/Call of Duty League[jwplayer nosJWvz1] A new set of leaks suggest there could be some major changes in the Call of Duty League, with two of the league’s biggest names, Chicago Huntsmen and Atlanta FaZe, swapping out some of their star players. Both Chicago and Atlanta were two of the most successful teams of the inaugural CDL season, winning several Home Series’ between them and placing third and second at Champs respectively. Now, it appears both teams are looking to make changes to take them that one step further and win a world championship — and are preparing to bring some new names into the fold. According to a report by notorious CoD esports leaker CDL Intel, both teams will be making at least one change, including a trade between the two. The report states that Atlanta FaZe will be largely the same team, with Cellium, Simp and Abezy sticking around. The switch to 4v4 sees MajorManiak lose his spot to none other than Chicago’s Arcitys, while Priestahh could be on his way to OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, according to the leak. Obviously, that leaves a roster of four on Chicago Huntsmen, but rumor has it Prestinni will also not be on the team, and the plan is to replace him with OpTic Gaming’s Dashy. This is something backed up by Call of Duty esports news reporter TheTacticalRab, who posted a video on September 4 saying along the exact same lines, that it seems likely Arcitys is headed to Atlanta in place of Priestahh, who would reunite with former 100 Thieves teammates SlasheR and Kuavo on OGLA. Segments starts at 3:45 Rab also mentions that he believes Prestinni to currently be a team of two with former Huntsmen starter Gunless, though it remains to be seen where they go. So, to clarify, these are how the three above teams are expected to shape up according to these new leaks: Chicago Huntsmen Scump – FormaL – Envoy – Dashy – Atlanta FaZe Simp – Abezy – Cellium – Arcitys – OpTic Gaming Los Angeles SlasheR – Kuavo – TJHaly – Priestahh – These all look like impeccably solid squads, and are bound to make waves if they end up being the finished line-ups for the Black Ops Cold War season. As always, take these leaks with a pinch of salt. As we know with this year’s CDL rostermania, nothing can be made official until September 13, which is more than enough time for players to change their minds.

NRG Esports and the Chicago Huntsmen are putting on a Huntsmen Homecoming event after their win at CDL London, and have invited members of the public as well as NBA All-Stars to join them. Starting at 2pm on Thursday, February 13, and running till 6pm, The CDL London champions will play “friendly exhibition matches” against select NBA All-Stars. There will also be time for meet and greets with the both CoD and NBA stars. Unfortunately, there’s no official livestream planned for the event, so it’s a truly exclusive experience. Representing the Huntsmen will be stars like Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper, Alec ‘Arcitys’ Sanderson, and their leader Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez. NRG Esports co-owner Andy Miller and content creator Will ‘BigTymeR’ Johnson will also be in attendance. In addition to the matches, there will also be exclusive Huntsmen merchandise, discounted Chicago home series tickets, and meet & greet opportunities. At the end of 2019, H3CZ announced that the Hunstmen would not be producing any more merch themselves, and that CDL would handle all the merch going forward. The LAST Huntsmen drop just went up. Let me explain what that means. – heczhttps://t.co/7vjjfDmb5J pic.twitter.com/BeL3i3Wogb — OpTic Texas (@OpTicTexas) December 17, 2019 However, it was then revealed that there would still be unique merch available to fans during home series events, but it’s unclear whether the exclusive merch is designed by the team themselves or by the league. NBA All-Stars take on CoD stars The list of attending NBA players has not been revealed, yet. Some likely names include Minnesota Timberwolves’ star Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT), as he is an avid fan of the Call of Duty series. Other known gamers in the All-Stars lineup include Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, and even NBA 2K19 cover star Giannis Antetokounmpo has dabbled in gaming in the past. KAT played alongside Scump at the Modern Warfare Pro-Am during the game’s beta phase in September, and was scheduled to compete with at-the-time teammate Andrew Wiggins, as well as actor Michael B. Jordan, in a showmatch at the CDL Launch Weekend in Minnesota. That match was canceled after the untimely and tragic death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant earlier in the day. KAT could potentially bring the Wolves’ newest star player, D’Angelo Russell, to the All-Star event as well. Both Towns and Russell competed at the September Pro-Am, and after a February trade, found themselves teammates in the NBA. This could potentially be just the first Hunstmen Homecoming event, and the team will likely host a similar event during the team’s Call of Duty League home series, which takes place April 4-5.

  • Chicago Huntsmen announce first substitute for Call of Duty League – Dexerto

Chicago Huntsmen announce first substitute for Call of Duty League The Chicago Huntsmen Call of Duty League team have revealed who one of their substitutes will be for the 2020 CDL season. The inaugural 2020 season of the newly-formed Call of Duty League is set to kick off in January, and the 12 participating franchises are in the process of finalizing their player rosters and coaching staff. Chicago Huntsmen, who have one of the strongest starting lineups in the league, announced their first substitute on December 6 for the upcoming season. The NRG-owned franchise signed former Enigma6 Group star Jordon ‘General’ General to fill out one of the minimum-two sub spots. Since then he’s been a fixture of their Call of Duty team, helping them secure 13 top-10 finishes at offline tournaments, including third at UMG California in 2015. General played an instrumental role in helping E6 finish fourth at the 2019 CWL Championship, posting over a 1.00 K/D across Hardpoint, SnD, and Control through the tournament. However, with CoD esports transitioning to franchising, E6 decided not to pursue one of the league spots, so they were forced to disband their team, and send all of their players into free agency. This is the second major announcement that Huntsmen have made since revealing their roster several weeks ago. Just a day prior, on December 5, they confirmed that legendary SnD player John ‘2Pac’ Hartley had joined the team as an analyst. This means that the franchise will have to sign at least one more substitute as per league rules, which require each team to have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 10 on their roster. Read More: Scump wants “stale” CoD offseason to end – However, they do have the option of listing 2Pac as both an analyst and a substitute, although there is no indication at this time that they’re planning on going down that route. • Cheeky Modern Warfare strategy can easily win you rounds in Gunfight – Dexerto

Cheeky Modern Warfare strategy can easily win you rounds in Gunfight Infinity WardStruggling to find a win in Gunfight lately? While steady aim and great timing can lead you to victory more often than not, ridiculous strategies in Modern Warfare’s 2v2 mode can get you the simplest wins possible. One of the standout additions with Infinity Ward’s latest entry in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare’s Gunfight has been a hugely popular mode since release. With an emphasis on close-quarters combat and frantic rounds, the more explosive team often comes out on top. Occasionally some quirky bugs lead to lightning-quick victories however, and a cheeky new strategy discovered on Stack could hand out some of the easiest round wins imaginable. Stack is a perfectly symmetrical map that features unique elevation in the center as well as both spawn points. Players are able to rapidly peek to the left and right of the shipping container that greets them every time they spawn in, leading to some quick eliminations if accuracy is on point. Running into the core of the map opens up a number of interesting flanking routes that can catch opponents by surprise however. If rounds are long-winded enough, the mode can often turn into a game of competitive hide-and-seek until the overtime flag comes into play. Biding their time and cheekily anticipating the flag in the very middle of the map, Reddit user ‘CzsmiccV’ and his duo couldn’t believe how they were able to capture the objective without being spotted. Laying prone atop the shipping container, they were able able to quickly secure the round win without ever directly seeing the flag. The ridiculous strategy uncovered a surprising trick. As showcased throughout the highlight, the objective can still be captured even with various terrain between the player and the flag. “Oh that counts,” shouted one of the players as they reacted in shock to the hilarious discovery. Captured in just a matter of moments, it appears as though the last remaining enemy contested the objective but couldn’t quite figure out where the stall was coming from. Running out of the zone to check, they gave up the overtime flag and subsequently the first-round win. Waiting until overtime isn’t always ideal in Gunfight, but this crazy play could be what makes or breaks your next match on Stack. Keep an eye out for players trying to parkour their way up to this crafty spot moving forward, as you can always flush them out with grenades or sit underneath and stall the flag until they move.

  • Cheeky CoD: Vanguard trick makes finishing moves completely useless – Dexerto

Cheeky CoD: Vanguard trick makes finishing moves completely useless Sledgehammer GamesFinishing moves are one of the most humiliating ways to be killed in CoD Vanguard. Luckily, there is a way you can wriggle out of them and take out your opponent in the process. Here’s how to do it. There are plenty of different ways of taking out enemies in Call of Duty: Vanguard. From the huge arsenal of weapons to the powerful killstreaks, Sledgehammer Games has given players dozens of options for inflicting punishment on their opponents. But easily the funniest and most humiliating is pulling off a finishing move – the ultimate way of asserting dominance in a match. However, if you’re unlucky enough to be on the receiving end, it can be frustrating. Thankfully, if you think you’re about to be assassinated, there is an easy way to counter it if you’re willing to sacrifice one part of your loadout. Finishing moves have become a staple of the CoD series since their introduction back in 2019. Players who manage to sneak up behind enemies without them noticing can perform a showy takedown by holding down the melee button. If you hear them coming but don’t have time to turn around, and you happen to have a throwing knife equipped, you can counter it. All you have to do is hold down the throw button before the assassination begins, then release it once the animation starts to play. This will use plunge the throwing knife into the unsuspecting enemy and bag yourself an elimination in the process. Check out this video from Reddit user Bigbillyclubs to see the technique in action. According to posts on the official Vanguard Reddit, the counter can be achieved will holding any throwable like a Frag Grenade or Gammon Bomb. However, we recommend opting for a Throwing Knife so there’s no risking being caught in an explosion. If you’re someone who runs around the map with an SMG, changing up your loadout to stop assassinations might have little benefit. But if you favor a sniper class where there’s a risk of being snuck up on, having a Throwing Knife handy could prevent some frustrating deaths. It’s worth noting that the same counter can also be used in the same way on both Modern Warfare (2019) and in Warzone. • Cheater gives Modern Warfare devs tips to prevent hackers and aimbotters – Dexerto

Cheater gives Modern Warfare devs tips to prevent hackers and aimbotters Infinity WardIn a strange turn of events, a cheater in titles like Grand Theft Auto and Battlefield 4 offered a way for the Modern Warfare devs to keep hackers and aimbotters from ruining Multiplayer, as well as Warzone. The situation with hackers has been ruining the overall gameplay experience from Infinity Ward’s latest Call of Duty. In fact, the problem has gotten so out of hand that the community have called for permanent bans for cheaters in the past. But that doesn’t mean that Activision and IW aren’t trying to nail the hackers to their game. On March 31, they announced that they’ve banned over 50,000 accounts for some kind of cheating, and more are expected to come. That push to counteract cheaters was impressive, but wholly ineffective since there are still aimbotters, wall hackers, and the like festering in Modern Warfare’s servers to this day. While there isn’t much the devs or publisher can do to stop all cheaters in their tracks, a Reddit user called ‘DeclanH23’ came forward about their past hacking habit to give a sort of formula to weed out the aimbotters. “I was a prevalent user of mods on Battlefield 4 and I’m currently on GTA Online,” they said. “So let me tell you exactly how to set up a system to stop aimbotters in their tracks.” When DeclanH23 hacked in BF4 (another FPS title) there were certain weapons that they, and other hackers, would commonly use – they referred to these as “prime aimbotter weapons.” Well the stats attached to their account, like headshots per death, kills per minute, longest kill streaks, and more were wildly above the norm. And it’s here how they believe Infinity Ward could thwart aimbotters. “[Infinity Ward] should analyse which weapons in [their] game would be perfect for aimbotters, and closely examine the statistics.” They said that IW’s system should be “absolutely screeching if a player is new, has gone straight into warzone and their headshots per kill is 5 times the average.” To make the hunt for aimbotters much easier, they suggest the devs consider making a formula that accounts for “accuracy, score, kills, headshots and time played with each gun,” and then weed out any player who is significantly outside of the average. Aimbotters typically get really smart when employing their cheats, so a bit of wisdom from a seasoned cheater could give Modern Warfare the tools it needs to prevent them from further ruining games.

  • Changes to Gold & DM Ultra camos coming in next Black Ops Cold War patch – Dexerto

Changes to Gold & DM Ultra camos coming in next Black Ops Cold War patch TreyarchAn unintentional change to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Gold and Dark Matter Ultra camos that made them incorrectly display around weapons will be reverted in the next major patch, Treyarch said. After the November 20 update, the BOCW community noticed that certain Mastery skins were covering less real estate on guns than they did before. There was confusion as the timing of the change made some believe it was intentional. But Treyarch Community Manager Josh ‘FoxhoundFPS’ Torres was quick to correct the assumptions, and was similarly surprised to see the changes that were a direct result from the patch. “This was an unintentional change and we are looking to release a fix for this in our next major update,” FoxhoundFPS noted, seeing as the community was up in arms after the November patch to the game. A thread by user ‘GTA_R0CKS’ showed the discrepancy between the pre-patch version of the M16 alongside the post-patch version. It showed a clear reduction in what the Gold camo offers for the prestigious variant. In that same post, the XM4 had a much more noticeable change in that the stock was showing its default skin at the tail-end of the gun. A variation to the regular skin that was much more noticeable in application. At the time, people were shocked to see Treyarch were covering even less of the weapons in the sought-after cosmetics, after community feedback distinctly asked for more coverage in skins such as Dark Aether and the like. When is the Camo change coming to Cold War? Luckily, Cold War players won’t have to contend with the camo issue much longer. The next update is due to come out on December 16, which should contain the change if everything goes well. Read more: Best weapons to use in Black Ops Cold War – Other than fixing things to how they were before the November 20 update, it’s unclear if Treyarch wants to extend the camos’ coverage on weapons like some players want. However, as it pertains to the inadvertent weapon glitch, Treyarch have heard the call of the problem and will rectify the problem in the next patch

  • Changes announced for Team Envy CoD after CWL Anaheim disaster – Dexerto

Changes announced for Team Envy CoD after CWL Anaheim disaster MLGCall of Duty player Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez has announced that he is a restricted free agent following his team’s performance at CWL Anaheim. Fero replaced Adam ‘Assault’ Garcia on the squad back in April, with the team hoping to turn their fortunes around after some disappointing finishes in tournaments, and middling performances in the CWL Pro League. However, with results not improving, and an appearance at CWL Anaheim that saw the team get eliminated in Losers Round 1 without winning a single map, it appears that Envy have opted to make a change to their lineup with just two major tournaments remaining in the 2019 season. Team Envy fell to 100 Thieves, Luminosity, Gen.G and Team Reciprocity, with all four teams dominating the “Boys in Blue,” sending Envy home on Saturday with a total 0-12 map count. Before CWL Anaheim had even concluded, Fero revealed that he had been made a restricted free agent by Team Envy, meaning that other organizations can now come in and make a bid for the player should they feel he would be a good addition to their roster. It is believed that Fero’s move will kick off a hectic period of roster moves as teams attempt to solidify their lineup ahead of CWL Pro League Finals and the CWL Championships, the year’s two biggest events which take place in July and August respectively. Read More: Pierce ‘Gunless’ Hillman, who was recently benched by Luminosity, or Carson ‘Brack’ Newberry who currently plays for the former Denial Esports team. CWL Pro League teams have just three days to make roster changes, with the window set to slam shut on June 20, so it’s expected that a number of organizations will be making frantic transfers during this three-day period. –

  • Chairs can kill you in Modern Warfare due to bizarre bug – Dexerto

Chairs can kill you in Modern Warfare due to bizarre bug This peculiar Modern Warfare glitch brings chairs to life on St. Petrograd, with this player suffering a deadly blow during an Infected game. While the latest iteration to the Call of Duty franchise has received a fair amount of praise, Modern Warfare has also had its share of criticism since release. From the plethora of bugs to missing features, Infinity Ward have been working through a long list of snags for the best part of two months. With the injection of nostalgia back into the playlist as part of Season 1, fans have been lapping up some of the older features from the series. Infected has made its triumphant return and has quickly soared its way to becoming a fan-favorite. However, as per Modern Warfare’s track record, there is a peculiar bug that has left one player baffled. Infected is a fun game mode that forces players to hide from a horde of ‘infected’ counterparts. Players earn XP for staying alive and dodging the infected – labeled ‘survivors.’ However, it appears that it’s not just those infected by the sickness that survivors need to worry about. Posted to the Modern Warfare subreddit, this player succumbed to ‘death by spinning chair’ behind the office desk in Hotel on St. Petrograd. After knifing the chair’s backseat upholstery twice to kickstart the spinning, the player waited for the spinning chair to knock their character. As soon as the chair appeared to touch their player model, they fell at the hands of an unexpected foe – while the killfeed assigned it as a player suicide. Of course, the chair is not a supported player model. Meaning that the engagement can be chalked up to yet another unorthodox bug within Modern Warfare. Since Infinity Ward are welcoming community feedback when addressing the game’s issues, they will hopefully act quickly on addressing player-to-map interactions such as this, since this isn’t the first time it’s been reported. If you’re new to Modern Warfare, please be aware that this isn’t a regular occurrence (we hope) and that bugs such as this are few and far between.

  • Chairs and doors are killing players in CoD Vanguard – Dexerto

Chairs and doors are killing players in CoD Vanguard ActivisionIn one of the more bizarre scenarios you’ll see in Call of Duty Vanguard, doors and chairs are literally killing players, and nobody can work out why. The latest Call of Duty title launched on November 5 and players the world over are already rabidly sinking their teeth into it, finding their favorite weapons and exploring every nook and cranny of each map. That said, as with every major game launch, the game hasn’t arrived without its share of bugs and small issues. We’ve seen bugs starting players in the enemy spawn and a particularly frustrating Search and Destroy bomb glitch, but this one is just about as weird as it gets. Vanguard players are quickly realizing that death can come from anywhere — including from seemingly innocent furniture. As seen in the clip below, Benguinn is running through Hotel Royal when, shortly after a teammate blasts through a door, he tries to run through it — but is literally stopped dead in his tracks. This isn’t a completely isolated incident of furniture-related fatalities in Vanguard, though. In the days following the game’s launch, one player found themselves dying to a falling chair while trying to plant the bomb in Search and Destroy. Fortunately, their team still won the round, despite not being able to get the bomb down, but we can only imagine how frustrating it would be to have lost the match due to this truly bizarre occurrence. https://twitter.com/ZarnoIdeale/status/1457227851502080000?s=20 This isn’t a completely new phenomenon for Call of Duty, either. This was also happening back in Modern Warfare 2019, meaning it could be down to the engine, which these two games share. Needless to say, this is something the devs will want to take a look at, and players need to be extra careful of their surroundings when traversing across Vanguard’s multiplayer maps.

  • Censor’s roster plans for Black Ops 4 have changed dramatically – Dexerto

Censor’s roster plans for Black Ops 4 have changed dramatically Former CompLexity player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has announced that he is once again a free agent, only days after revealing he had a roster and organization set. In an unexpected announcement, Censor took to Twitter to reveal his plans for the Black Ops 4 season had derailed, landing him back in free agency. On October 5, Censor teased that an announcement on his new team and organization was forthcoming. On October 7, he tweeted again, saying “couldn’t be more excited to compete with my new team”. Couldn’t be more excited to compete with my new team for the Black Ops 4 season — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) October 7, 2018 He had said that although nothing was official, he hoped to make the announcement the next day. But, the announcement never came, and now we know why. On October 9, without explanation, Censor plainly tweeted ‘F/A’, indicating he was once again a free agent. This leaves speculation open as to what his planned team have decided, whether they have fully split or have replaced Censor’s spot on the team with another player. It is also unclear which organization was involved, however the speculation was that Evil Geniuses were keen on picking up a new roster, having sold their world championship winning roster to Team Envy. With many of the top organizations already having announced their complete five man rosters, both time and opportunity is against Censor. FaZe Clan were the latest team to complete their roster with the pick up of Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni from OpTic, while Luminosity and eUnited have also got their roster locked in, according to leaks.

  • Censor’s dad apologizes for slamming NY Subliners after roster snub – Dexerto

Censor’s dad apologizes for slamming NY Subliners after roster snub Papa Censor – Instagram / Censor – TwitchG Douglas Martin, father of Call of Duty player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, was not at all happy about his son being snubbed of a starting spot with the New York Subliners CDL team, although now he’s apologized for his sharp remarks. It’s been a tumultuous few days in Call of Duty esports, to say the least, as several teams have seemingly made roster changes ahead of CDL Los Angeles, the fourth event of the CoD League’s inaugural 2020 season. One of those teams was the New York Subliners, who dropped Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris from the starting lineup and replaced him with Nick ‘Happy’ Suda, one of the two substitutes they have on the roster. Ironically, all of the attention has been surrounding the roster move that didn’t happen, which was Censor, New York’s other sub, not being promoted to the starting lineup instead. Read More: CDL Los Angeles schedule, teams, more – His dad, known as Papa Censor on social media, posted an angry and eyebrow-raising message on Instagram blasting all of the other Subliners players. In the post, he called NYSL “the friends team” and proceeded to offer a “breakdown” of the roster, adding an insult or two after every player’s name. Some of the insults included calling Accuracy a “tyrant, loser, and bad leader,” Temp a “hothead and bad team player,” and Attach as “lacky and Lamar a** kisser.” He seems to at least have a decent opinion of ZooMaa, who he called a “champ and nice guy,” although he followed it up by also saying that he “needs a spine.” Read More: LA Guerrillas set to drop ACHES – The only player he praised? The sudden spike of attention prompted him to publish a video apologizing for his comments. “I want to apologize for letting my emotions get the best of me,” he said. “I mean no ill will towards anyone, I’m just so passionate about my son’s career and his Call of Duty. I sincerely apologize to Subliners and all the players. I hope you can forgive me. Good luck in LA.” As things stand, Censor will be once again a substitute for Subliners during their visit to Los Angeles. However, in all likelihood, Happy’s place in the starting lineup is on an interim basis for now, so if he fails to perform, there could be a chance that Censor gets given his chance to start at some point. New York go into the event tied for eighth with only 10 points and just one win out of their first five matches. Things won’t get easier for them, however, as they’ve been placed in Group B with Atlanta FaZe, Florida Mutineers, and Dallas Empire – three teams who have all played in a tournament grand final already this season.

  • Censor wears clown outfit and admits to taking “biggest L of my life” – Dexerto

Censor wears clown outfit and admits to taking “biggest L of my life” In the face of all the drama that’s been circulating throughout the Call of Duty community, former pro player Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin looked to clarify things further while wearing a clown outfit live on his Twitch stream. Censor has been the center of attention in the latest Call of Duty drama, following allegations of slander against former teammates Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevich. While the now FaZe Clan member believes his former Complexity team threw him under the bus, Dashy and Blazt have come forward arguing that their ex-teammate is “psychotic” and always playing the “victim.” On September 10, Censor took the controversy to a whole new level by going on an explosive rant on his Twitch stream, all while wearing a clown outfit. Read more: Censor opens up on former FaZe issues – “I’m losing my mind, I’m gonna audition for Joker. I’m losing my freaking mind turning into a psychopath over this shit,” he said desperately. Forming an L shape with his hand and holding it up to his head, he owned up to the recent backlash and states that he will be taking his L “with pride.” He did this in response to Dashy and Blazt blaming for Complexity’s poor run at CWL Anaheim in 2018, since he had spent the week prior doing a CSGO brand deal in the UK instead of practicing. Clown outfit and all, he took accountability of his actions in a manner many would probably consider over-the-top. “You’re right, I had an obligation to my team, and I let my team down,” he said. “Dashy, Blazt, I hope you’re watching this, this is an important lesson for you guys to learn. These kids need to grow up, and I don’t give a damn about nothing. I will take my L with pride for losing CWL Anaheim for my team.” However, once the clown outfit came off, Censor changed his tune very much to the offensive and gave a very stern warning to both Dashy and Blazt moving forward “If I see that again, I swear to f*cking god, I don’t give a damn,” he said emotionally. “I don’t need anything or anybody. I will stand up for myself, I promise myself now that I’m a 25-year-old grown-ass man, I have things to take care of, if I see any stupid shit like this ever again, I don’t give a f*ck man. I am not holding back. I don’t care about nothing dude.” “You can say that I costed you Anaheim, I will take that L 100% to the grave,” he went on. “I costed you Anaheim, you can say I costed you every single tournament in CoD history, you can say I’m the worst K/D player in the league, but you can’t make lies like that about people. It is unacceptable man. You really need to think twice before you speak.” You can check out Censor’s full past broadcast below, with his ‘clown outfit’ segment kicking off right at the start. Watch I TOOK THE BIGGEST L OF MY LIFE | 50% OFF SUBS! | @FaZe_Censor on IG from Censor on www.twitch.tvThis saga really took off on September 9, when Censor released a video calling out Dashy and Blast for having “slandered” his name and damaged his reputation. Following that, Dashy responded during his livestream by calling the YouTuber “psychotic,” which clearly struck a nerve and prompted the clown outfit to make an appearance. Censor will hope that this controversy dies down before it really begins to affect his chances of signing with one of the nine confirmed teams in next year’s franchised Call of Duty League.

Censor warns Call of Duty community to “stay away” from “dangerous” CoDBurner YouTube: FaZe CensorCall of Duty fans that the man behind the infamous ‘CoDBurner’ is “dangerous,” and advised the community to stay clear of him. The CoDBurner is a mysterious figure who appeared in 2018, and since then has been releasing confidential information about the Call of Duty scene, giving fans of the esport an inside look at the inner workings of their favorite teams, players, and leagues. Unsurprisingly, this has caused pro players to desperately try and find out who the leaker is, and while Censor claims to know the identity of the CoDBurner and intends to reveal it publicly, he had a stark warning for members of the community about the unknown person. After tweeting that he intended to make a 10 minute video “exposing @EdgarAllanPwn3d for the fraud that he is,” and stating that he would use the revenue from the video to pay for flights to bring fans to CWL Championships in August, Censor posted a warning to his fans and fellow community members. “After doing some more digging, this CoDBurner guy is DANGEROUS,” wrote the FaZe Clan member on Twitter. “CoD community, STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN.” After doing more digging, this COD Burner guy is DANGEROUS! The person who owns this property is Alberto Diaz. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE AT MIAMI THIS WEEKEND. This guy is involved in something really bad! https://t.co/SXnRRFSqoi — FaZe Censor (@Censor) July 18, 2019 Censor has since followed up with more posts, suggesting the CoDBurner uses various fake Twitter accounts to engage with himself, discussing expensive cars, and then congratulating one of his supposed burner accounts for winning a ‘giveaway’. The COD Burner replies to his account with this twitter. This guy is faking his identity, job, Burner twitter, and a burner twitter that replies to his fake identity. Just read the tweets. Wtf is this guy and why is he in our community. https://t.co/cQqoUQTnDC — FaZe Censor (@Censor) July 18, 2019 This same account, @MichaelJGTZ, was the same individual that the @EdgarAllenPwn3d account congratulated for winning a $10,000 giveaway, run by Edgar himself, as Censor highlights COD Burner doing fake giveaways to himself. The amount of information I’ve found out about this guy over the past couple days is alarming. It keeps pouring in. It keeps on getting weirder… https://t.co/uIYTcpmDci — FaZe Censor (@Censor) July 18, 2019 What Censor has found that makes him so cautious of the CoDBurner remains to be seen, but the 24-year-old says that he will be uploading a video on Friday, July 19, which will truly expose the individual behind the notorious account.

  • Censor to Appear Alongside Host NAMELESS On Next CoD Cast Episode from CWL Pro League – Dexerto

Censor to Appear Alongside Host NAMELESS On Next CoD Cast Episode from CWL Pro League Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler has confirmed the next line up of professional Call of Duty players set to appear on the upcoming CoD Cast episode, live from Columbus at the CWL Pro League. NAMELESS began the CoD Cast series following his recent retirement from competing, and the show has quickly become a fan favorite, providing insight from the pro players themselves which viewers are not accustomed to. With Stage Two of the CWL Pro League underway, NAMELESS is out in Columbus at the MLG Arena, not as a player but as part of the casting and analysis on camera crew in his new role. But despite working full time with MLG, he didn’t want to put the CoD Cast on hold considering the momentum it was building, and so has taken his streaming equipment out to Columbus to do the podcast in person with the players. During Division A, he did two full CoD Cast episodes, the first with Echo Fox, FaZe and Team Envy players, and the second was an all European line up, with players from Splyce and Red Reserve. With Division B starting on Tuesday, May 29th, NAMELESS has already arranged the lineup for the first CoD Cast with the next set of teams, recruiting some of the top players to take part. CompLexity Gaming’s Doug “Censor” Martin and Rise Nation duo Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat and Daniel “Loony” Loza have all been confirmed. The next CODCAST (#9) will be live Monday at 10 PM est along-side @RiseLoonysan @SlasheR_AL and @Censor! — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) May 26, 2018 Already packed the wire. Can’t wait for this podcast with @NAMELESS :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) May 27, 2018 This trio is known to be some of the more outspoken players, and so should make for a great episode with plenty insider knowledge and opinions being shared. They will likely run through the results so far in Division A and their predictions for Division B, and with these three on the show their will likely be some juicy trash talk too. You can watch the CoD Cast live via NAMELESS’ Twitch Channel, and it is also later posted on his YouTube and iTunes.

  • Censor threatens to expose Call of Duty hackers after getting list from cheat provider – Dexerto

Censor threatens to expose Call of Duty hackers after getting list from cheat provider Instagram: censorCall of Duty competitor Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has threatened to expose a huge chunk of Call of Duty hackers after getting a list of names from a cheat service provider. Censor has long been one of the biggest names in Call of Duty, despite not having any luck in his push to reach the CoD League so far. He’s no slouch in the game though: he has regularly been the number one player in the Top 250 of Vanguard ranked play, fighting off the advances of cheaters to keep them as far down the rankings as possible. Now, with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 on the horizon, Censor has accessed a list of a number of names of people who have cheated on Call of Duty, and threatened to expose them. Posting to Twitter, Censor said: “I have a list of multiple people who have downloaded cheats over the past year directly from the cheating source. Should I start exposing?” He went on to expose one cheater on Twitter, who went on to make their account private, before saying he’ll expose more. “I definitely want to expose all these cheaters,” he said. “It’s ridiculous. It’s anyone who downloaded cheats from January 1 until today [September 26]. Everything’s going to get exposed because I just don’t care. When I get this information, it needs to be used properly. F**k you if you’re a cheater. You are a loser and you will get exposed.” How exactly Censor has gained access to this list of names, whether it’s simply by seeing who’s joined the Discord or some other means, is unclear. That said, if anybody has used this particular cheating provider (Censor didn’t reveal which), the Boston Breach Challengers star is on the case.

  • Censor finally announces Call of Duty League team after leaving FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Censor finally announces Call of Duty League team after leaving FaZe Clan Censor – YouTubeProfessional Call of Duty player and popular YouTuber Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has revealed which team he will be representing for the 2020 inaugural season, a day after announcing his departure from FaZe Clan. After sitting out the entirety of the Black Ops 4 CWL season, Censor repeatedly made it clear that his intention is to compete again once Call of Duty esports transitions to a franchise-based model starting from next season. Despite all of his doubters who didn’t believe he would make it, he said that several organizations were interested in him, and on October 5, confirmed that he’d signed with a team. On October 13, Censor finally announced that he is joining the New York City franchise: “Joined CWL NYC and the ANDBOX family, new chapter starts now.” “Welcome to the ANDBOX family Censor,” the franchise’s official Twitter account posted. “New York is where you belong, it doesn’t get any better than this.” Joined @CWL_NYC and @andbox_official family, new chapter starts now :raised_hands::skin-tone-2: — Censor (@Censor) October 17, 2019 In a video he posted along with the announcement, Censor confirmed that he will be the substitute player for NYC , who had already announced their full starting lineup a couple of weeks prior. “I’m going to be the substitute player for New York, and honestly guys, I’m just so grateful for this opportunity,” he said. “I know there is a lot of scrutiny around me, and not playing for a year, and people thinking whatever they want to think, it doesn’t really matter to me at the end of the day.” “All that I care about is the fact that I’m a part of this franchise, that this team embraces me. All these players are extremely professional and are great, and they all want me to be here.” He also did drop a major hint about his new team a day before making the announcement, as he edited his FaZe Clan departure video (featured at the bottom of this page) with a flash of him wearing the jacket emblazoned with the ANDBOX logo – the company that owns the NYC slot in the CDL. It really does make sense too that he would be joining the NYC franchise, considering that he lives in New York and has previously said he would love to be a part of a team in his home state. Read More: Dashy reportedly tried to leave LA OpTic – Furthermore, when talking about his negotiations with potential teams, he mentioned receiving three contract offers to play as a substitute and for a starter’s role, and he’s evidently decided to sacrifice some playing time in order to be where he wants to be. NYC CALL OF DUTY STARTING LINEUP: Dillon ‘Attach’ Price – Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto – Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda – Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi – Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris – Of course, considering this development, Censor had to first officially announce his departure from FaZe Clan, an organization he’d been a member of for five years. Read More: Paris CoD announce 7 player roster – With him now set to join a new esports org, it would likely be impossible for him to continue to be affiliated with both at the same time, especially since all of his time, efforts, and dedications would go towards NYC. He did speak about his time with FaZe and gave insight about the decision to part ways in his October 16 video, which you can watch below. FaZe also said their own farewells to the former member, wishing him good luck in his future endeavors. It’s been a great 5 Years, @Censor. :trophy::trophy: Thank you for everything you brought to FaZe Clan, and best of luck in the League! #FaZeUp pic.twitter.com/t7BJbBE0TO — FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) October 16, 2019 Getting back into the top circuit of competitive Call of Duty is obviously a huge achievement for Censor, who many believed did not have what it takes to compete alongside the best. He has, of course, been around the pro scene for quite a while, making his debut back in 2011 and featuring for teams such as FaZe Clan, FaZe Black, and Strictly Business. among many others. He last competed during the WWII CWL season as a member of Complexity, but announced his retirement following 2017 CoD Champs, which was evidently only temporary. • Censor slams “nightmare” Modern Warfare over Infinity Ward decisions – Dexerto

Censor slams “nightmare” Modern Warfare over Infinity Ward decisions Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has lashed out at developers Infinity Ward over various decisions they’ve made with CoD: Modern Warfare, specifically regarding the mini-map and prestiging. Modern Warfare has been criticized by some members of the community for some of its changes the established Call of Duty formula. One main area of criticism relates to the lack of visible red-dots on players’ mini-maps. In past CoDs, players firing unsuppressed weapons would cause them to appear as red-dots on enemy mini-maps. Modern Warfare dropped this, opting to only show enemy locations through killstreaks such as Personal Radar and UAVs. Censor has made a return to professional Call of Duty for Modern Warfare, being signed as a substitute for the New York Subliners. He last played professional CoD for CompLexity Gaming in Sledgehammer Games’ CoD: WWII. However, it appears Censor is struggling to get to grips with the latest CoD installment. On November 24, he tweeted his frustrations with numerous decisions made by developers. “I can’t believe Call of Duty this year doesn’t have prestiging or red dots on a mini-map,” he said. “I’m sorry for the negative tweets but it feels like I’m living in a nightmare and can’t wake up!” I can’t believe Call of Duty this year doesn’t have prestiging or red dots on a mini map. I’m sorry for the negative tweets but it feels like I’m living in a nightmare and can’t wake up! — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) November 24, 2019 He followed up with another tweet, chronicling the questions he asks himself, including: “Am I unable to adapt? Am I too old? Is there new kids who are demanding these changes?” Some questions will likely remain unanswered, considering the discretion with which developers operate. CoD developers certainly have to tread a fine line when implementing changes. Some innovations, like the new Gunsmith section, have been positively received. However, recent changes to mini-maps, like the ‘Fog of War’ in Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare’s subsequent adjustments, were both met with negative community feedback overall. Am I unable to adapt? Am I too old? Is there new kids who are demanding these changes? Is there something in an algorithm on the back end that suggests these ideas? Am I the problem with this? These are the questions my mind asks when I think about this years title. — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) November 24, 2019 Censor is also not the only professional to complain about prestiging (or the lack thereof) either. On November 23, pro player Chance ‘Maux’ Moncivaez tweeted: “Alright I gotta ask. Who complained about prestiging?” Other pro players, such as Karma and Silly, tweeted their agreement. Modern Warfare removed the typical level of prestiging every 50 to 70 levels in favor of a more basic ranking up system. The game’s current level cap is 155, but many players have reached this already and expect it to be raised soon. Infinity Ward have acknowledged the community’s concerns over the mini-map, but as of yet have not made any definitive decisions over future adjustments in Modern Warfare. Many are expecting the level cap to be raised, particularly when Modern Warfare’s in-game ‘seasons’ start. Level 155 roughly equates to three ‘prestiges’ from past games, in which there was often a limit of 10 or 20. Last year’s Black Ops 4, for example, had 10 prestiges of 55 levels, before players worked their way up to Level 1000.

  • Censor shows just how bad Modern Warfare spawns are on Shipment – Dexerto

Censor shows just how bad Modern Warfare spawns are on Shipment Pro Call of Duty player and YouTuber Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has exhibited just how bad Modern Warfare spawns can be on Shipment, with an infuriating clip. Censor is one of the most popular personalities in Call of Duty, having built a massive following online during his time competing in past titles. Like many of the Call of Duty League pro players, Censor has been among those grinding Modern Warfare since its release on 25 October, and has joined the New York City franchise, Subliners, for the 2020 season. With the release of the refurbished CoD 4 map Shipment returning to the Modern Warfare series, many of the game’s hardcore players have been choosing it for the maximum action and XP available. However, the New York Subliners star revealed that even he was having problems with Shipment’s questionable spawns, uploading a video where he was constantly spawn trapped, racking up endless deaths. Unfortunately for Censor, there was no escape as his opponents had set themselves up perfectly across the map, mowing him down over and over in-game until he had had enough. https://twitter.com/Censor/status/1211129894383607810 Despite dying consecutively over twenty times during the short clip, to many’s surprise he managed to keep his cool the entire time while attempting to break the spawn trap. Fellow YouTuber FaZe Jev, who is known not to hold back when a game doesn’t go in his favor, was among those who saw the clip and he even complimented the CoD pro on his composure, “The mental fortitude is impressive though.” Censor later joked that after his rough experience on Shipment was enough for him to call it quits on Modern Warfare, captioning the video, “I’m officially retiring from Call of Duty.” After signing with the New York Subliners for the 2020 season, it would be very unlikely to actually see him step back from the competition, but this spawn trap would be enough to make most players simply give up.

  • Censor says Black Ops Cold War is the best CoD ever – again – Dexerto

Censor says Black Ops Cold War is the best CoD ever – again Treyarch/YT: CensorEx-Call of Duty pro player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has stated that Black Ops Cold War is the “best CoD” he has played – although some have pointed out he has said similar things in the past. The Black Ops Cold War Beta is into its final weekend, but Treyarch have already confirmed it will be extended by 24 hours, meaning it will now conclude on Tuesday, October 20. Feedback has – as you would expect with a Beta – been largely mixed, with players highlighting skill-based matchmaking as a particular issue. Maps, footstep audio and weapon balance though, has been generally praised. While some big figures in the CoD community, namely Swagg and NICKMERCS, have been critical of the Beta, others, like Censor, have been overwhelmingly positive. In an October 17 tweet, the ex-New York Subliners substitute said: “Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the BEST COD I have ever played. [I] literally never get bored of this game.” However, many followers of the pro, as well as Reddit users, were quick to point out that he has made similar comments about past CoD games. Some of the CoD games in question, like Call of Duty: WWII, have gone on to be widely criticized, particularly by the competitive community. Bro you say this every year and Ik you lying cause it’s just a remake of mw2019 — Jóśúé (@Jouselo21) October 18, 2020 One Redditor, u/SSMKh, shared an image of similar tweets made for each of the last four CoD games, from WWII through to this year’s Black Ops Cold War. While not all of his tweets refer to the games as the best of all time, they are all overwhelmingly complimentary. The Redditor even said: “I’m really not sure if he even takes himself seriously, he has to be trolling, right? There’s no way someone can be stupid enough to fall for the same thing 4 years in a row.” In Censor’s defense, there is every chance Black Ops Cold War will go on to be the best CoD of all time. However, many see his tendency to be very positive early on as disingenuous and naive. Only time will tell how Black Ops Cold War is remembered in the CoD community.

  • Censor Reveals Who He Thinks is the Best Call of Duty Pro Player, Discusses Professional Fortnite and CWL Anaheim – Dexerto

Censor Reveals Who He Thinks is the Best Call of Duty Pro Player, Discusses Professional Fortnite and CWL Anaheim CompLexity Gaming Call of Duty pro Doug “Censor” Martin has opened up about a number of topics covering CoD esports, Fortnite and his personal life. Censor stepped away from competing in 2016, pursuing his personal ventures as YouTuber, where he amassed himself over two and half million subscribers. But with the release of Call of Duty: WWII, Censor got the itch to compete once again, and invested heavily with his own money in order to get back into the scene with a competitive roster. More: FaZe Clan’s Replays Reveals More Information as to Why He Came Out of Retirement for CoD: WWII – Since then, his dedication and skills in game have elevated his stock amongst his fellow players and fans, with some decent LAN performances, and has now found his way onto a CWL Pro League team with the new coL roster. He has made it very clear on a number of occasions that his number one goal is to win the Call of Duty: World Championship – and in his Ask Me Anything (AMA) video for CompLexity, says he may even considering retiring if he manages it. He discusses the possibility of leaving CoD to aspire in Fortnite professionally, following the announcement of $100 million developer funding in prize pools for the battle royale game. “The only way I could see myself leaving Call of Duty is for two reasons; one, if I won a world championship, or two, if Call of Duty completely died out. Fortnite has a crazy prize pool, it’s a lot of fun, but I like to stick with what I’m good at. I love Call of Duty, it’s something I’ve known for a very long time and I want to play as long as I possibly can.” He also revealed that he reckons Luminosity’s Johnathon “John” Perez is the best Player in CoD: WWII currently. “Currently, I would probably say John is the best player in Call of Duty, right now, today. I think he’s the best because he’s an insanely talented player and he has the right work ethic.” And finally, he discussed the team’s ambitions for the upcoming CWL Anaheim event, taking place June 15th. “We’re really excited, Anaheim is one of the biggest events of they year and I think our team has tonne of potential. I want to accomplish winning a championship alongside my teammates so the goal for us is winning every event we can.” You can watch the full Ask Me Anything from CompLexity featuring Censor below.

  • Censor Reveals Whether He’ll Compete on Black Ops 4 and Asks Fans “Stop the memes already” – Dexerto

Censor Reveals Whether He’ll Compete on Black Ops 4 and Asks Fans “Stop the memes already” CompLexity’s Doug “Censor” Martin has asked fans to ‘stop the memes’ following his team’s exit from the Call of Duty World Championship, and reveals his plans for Black Ops 4. Censor had been teased constantly online following his split from Yanet Garcia, and also because of his ambitious claim that he would win CoD Champs. CompLexity did perform well at the event, managing a top 16 placing after making it out their group, arguably the toughest group of the tournament. Censor himself played well, but ultimately the team was eliminated at the hands of European squad Red Reserve, after an earlier loss to UNILAD in the winners bracket. After the loss, and no doubt a lot of trolling and ‘memes’ coming his way on social media, Censor took to Twitter in an effort to curb the mocking. He said he doesn’t want Yanet back, and failing to win CoD Champs doesn’t change his desire to focus all his efforts towards competing in Call of Duty, He also says that he’ll be back to win CoD Champs in Black Ops 4, so perhaps Doug will win Champs after all. compLexity Gaming Could Already Be Looking to Sign Karma for the Upcoming Black Ops 4 Season Whatever his plans in competitive CoD, he is undeniably one of the most dedicated players, and has certainly sacrificed a lot in the name of competing. Black Ops 4 will release on October 12, when the new competitive season will begin.

  • Censor reveals what “bothered” him during his time with FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Censor reveals what “bothered” him during his time with FaZe Clan Now a member of the New York Subliners Call of Duty League franchise after having departed FaZe Clan, Doug ‘Censor’ Martin revealed one of his biggest regrets about the time he spent with FaZe. One of the biggest gaming personalities and YouTubers associated with FaZe Clan over the years was Censor, who first joined the organization back in 2014 as a member of their Call of Duty team. After spending over five years with the esports giants, he finally parted ways on October 16, moving to the NY Subliners as a substitute for their Call of Duty League team. Speaking with Dexerto, Censor revealed that while his time with FaZe had its positive and beneficial aspects, there were parts of it that did not play out in his favor. Read More: Censor slams “nightmare” Modern Warfare – It’s something he’s mentioned several times before – his lack of opportunities with FaZe’s CoD team and how he feels that he was never given a fair chance with them. Censor on not getting another chance with FaZe CoD Censor, of course, did play for FaZe’s competitive CoD team, winning two championships in 2014 at UMG Nashville and MLG Columbus Open. However, shortly after that, he was dropped from the main team, which is one of his biggest resentments. “I made it really clear – I wanted to play on the competitive team since I joined FaZe Clan,” he said. “I never wanted to get off the competitive team, I got dropped from the competitive team when I won them a championship. Not even a celebratory dinner or anything. It was just ‘Hey we’re going to give ACHES the captain.’ And I was like ‘If you do that he’s going to drop me.’” Repeatedly seeing promises that were made to him remain unfulfilled or even get broken added up to him now feeling as though the organization just didn’t treat him fairly. “No one would ever get on a phone call with me. Nobody would ever talk to me for five years. They would just ignore me. Every time I asked when I wanted to play they would say ‘team’s full right now, sorry.’ Just making false promises and promising you captainship, taking it back, and then expecting you to just not be upset about that, not even taking accountability for it really bothers me. I never got closure the way I wanted to. All I really wanted for them to just say ‘hey we get where you’re coming from dude, sorry it just didn’t work out.’” That said, he did note that his time with FaZe was very beneficial to both his career and brand as a YouTube star and that he would never forget the role that the organization played in him being who he is today. “I’m grateful in one sense because they taught me everything I know with branding and YouTube, and they really put me under the ropes and gave me a career really. I’ll never forget that.” (Segment begins at 9:56 mark for mobile users) For Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, his years spent as a member of FaZe are now very much in the past, as he now plans on giving his full attention and efforts to helping his new team, the Subliners, succeed in the first-ever season of the newly-formed CDL. It’s not clear how much he will play this season, if at all, but he’s as confident as ever in his ability as a CoD player and there’s no doubt that he will be ready to perform should his name ever be called.

  • Censor reveals “shock” plan to return to competitive CoD… again – Dexerto

Censor reveals “shock” plan to return to competitive CoD… again FaZe Clan’s Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has confirmed that he plans to compete during the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season – and says he will win the World Championship. After two previous retirements, Censor looks to be making his third comeback, after stepping away from competing at the end of the WWII season. It’s believed that he was set to join Evil Geniuses for the Black Ops 4 season, but the team changed their minds when Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson became available, leaving Censor teamless and out of options only weeks before the season began. He was forced to either start over from the amateur level once again, or retire, and chose the latter, having grinded the entire WWII season from amateur to Pro League, only to find himself back at square one. Censor hinted at a return to competition earlier in the Black Ops 4 season too, but this never came to fruition. With Modern Warfare now officially announced though, he is doubling down on his intentions. On June 3, the YouTuber proudly claimed: “I’m winning champs on Modern Warfare next year.” Of course, immediately there were doubters and naysayers, who highlighted Censor’s previous retirements, and his failure to win the WWII world championship, despite similarly stating frequently that he would. Martin had a rebuttal lined up however, reminding those who doubt him of his track record, having made successful comebacks previously. I took a year off in BO2 came back in Ghosts and won 2 chips. I took 3 years off came back in WW2 and was the 1st retired player to make it into the pro league with ZERO help at all from anybody. That’s facts :grinning: https://t.co/sdEVNHVTeO — FaZe Censor (@Censor) June 4, 2019 In a final defiant statement, Censor explained that closer to the release of Modern Warfare, on October 25, he will make a video on his YouTube channel revealing his “point of view” on his career that he says will “shock” fans. I don’t think anyone truly understands where I’m coming from. Towards the MW release date I’ll make a video that explains my POV on my COD career that I think will really shock a lot of you guys. — FaZe Censor (@Censor) June 4, 2019 The next competitive season of Call of Duty will be the first with the new city-based franchise league, which will undoubtedly shake up rosters, rules and team compositions. It may be the perfect time for a well-known, albeit doubted, former pro like Censor to make a comeback, but he will have to prove to fellow professionals that he is dedicated, and talented enough, to be worth a spot on a CWL team.

  • Censor reveals exciting news about his team situation, teases official announcement – Dexerto

Censor reveals exciting news about his team situation, teases official announcement Just a few days after receiving the news that he had been released from compLexity Gaming’s CoD team, Doug ‘Censor’ Martin is feeling confident about his future. The 24-year-old professional Call of Duty player and YouTube star was dropped by coL on October 2 along with Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevic and Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacy, with the organization saying that they had been unable to put together a full five man roster that “made sense.” But it looks like Censor, who returned to competitive CoD at the beginning of the WWII season, might have already landed on his, as he revealed in his October 4 YouTube video titled ‘Reacting to Joe Rogan roasting me…’ After reacting to the clips of the UFC commentator discussing his breakup with Yanet Garcia, Censor’s attention shifted to his current predicament, saying: “Fortunately, I have a little bit of good news with the team.” He then went on to say that nothing is confirmed, but that the roster is an exciting one: “Maybe, just maybe I’ll be getting picked up by a team that I’ll be really excited about playing with. Like, these guys that I might potentially be playing with are fricking animals, the org is amazing.” And it sounds like we could be getting official confirmation as early as today, with Censor stating: “I’m in talks with them, it’s going pretty well but nothing is official yet. Hopefully I can give you guys an update, hopefully tomorrow I can make this official.” With Call of Duty esports switching from a 4 vs 4 format to 5 vs 5 for the upcoming Black Ops 4 season, a number of top teams are still in the process of putting their final roster together. There are currently no hints about where Censor could be heading, but the former compLexity man sounds as confident as ever about his chances of winning a championship.

  • Censor reveals plans to return to a top level professional Call of Duty team – Dexerto

Censor reveals plans to return to a top level professional Call of Duty team Former professional Call of Duty player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has revealed that he wants to make a comeback to competitive CoD, stating his desire to play for FaZe Clan’s pro roster. A veteran CoD player, Censor first competed in the original Black Ops title back in 2011, before retiring from competing in 2016. After missing the Infinite Warfare season, he made his comeback for the return to boots on the ground with CoD: WWII in 2017, but struggled to break into the top eight teams, finishing top 16 at 5 out of 6 major events he attended. Originally planning to join the Evil Geniuses roster for Black Ops 4, it is rumored Censor lost his spot to former eUnited player Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson, leaving no viable options for him and forcing retirement once again. But, it appears Censor’s itch for competing has returned, and following FaZe Clan’s top 16 showing at the first event of the Black Ops 4 season, he wants in. First hinting at a return on Twitter, Censor said “I’ve been watching teams practice and go to these events and all I can say is man… a LOT of teams really need my help.” In a YouTube video posted only hours later, Censor stated his ambition to take a spot on the FaZe roster specifically. “I want to be back on the FaZe pro team,” he states, explaining that their poor placing has caused rumors to circle of a change, “all I know is there’s a chance they might make a roster change.” “I want back in man […] to me, I always wanted to be a competitive Call of Duty player, it’s what I love to do, I want to do this until it’s not a thing anymore. And Call of Duty grows every year, salary increases every single year, viewership increases every single year.” However, Censor also makes clear that we won’t come back unless he is happy with his teammates and the level he would be playing at. “I’m not going to come back to competitive Call of Duty if I’m playing with players I don’t like, I’m not going to play with players that are going to stress me out, it’s not worth my time.” Unfortunately for Censor, it seems all but confirmed that FaZe will be recruiting upcoming player ‘Cellium’ in place of Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni, so his chances of taking the fifth spot may not even be a possibility.

  • Censor reveals how much he spent funding NexT Threat during CoD: WWII – Dexerto

Censor reveals how much he spent funding NexT Threat during CoD: WWII YouTuber and former pro CoD player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has revealed how much of his own money he paid in order to fund his own team during the Call of Duty: WWII season. Censor had been out of competition for almost two years, before announcing he wanted to make a comeback to the professional level, as Call of Duty returned to ‘boots on the ground’. With such a long break from competing, top players at the time were unwilling to take a chance on Censor, and so he had to fund his own team and pay his own teammates to get a start. Censor has explained in the past that he invested heavily in the team, which he used the ‘NexT Threat’ branding for, but has now revealed just how much of his own money it set him back. In his video recapping 2018, which he calls “the best year of his life”, Censor states it took “$40,000 to fund my team with NexT Threat”, and that he was “$40,000 in the hole” after the team missed out on the 2018 CWL Pro League Stage 1, by only 45 points. He goes on to say that after NexT Threat missed out on the league, and Censor’s teammates were poached to other teams, he was at “rock bottom”, with no opportunities. Fortunately for Censor, he was given a chance to play alongside Lightning Pandas, where he managed to impress individually, later landing him a spot on a league team with compLexity. After falling short at the 2018 CWL World Championship, Censor was rumored to join Evil Geniuses for Black Ops 4, but his spot on the roster reportedly went to Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson, after he was dropped from eUnited. Censor decided that the starting again from square one was not something he was willing to do all over again, and so stepped down from competing once more, but he clearly still looks back on his return to competitive CoD fondly, calling 2018 the “best year of his life”.

  • Censor reveals how many Call of Duty League offers he’s received – Dexerto

Censor reveals how many Call of Duty League offers he’s received YouTube: CensorCall of Duty League, and the former pro player has revealed how many offers he has received from organizations who want to sign him. The 25-year-old has been at the center of a public spat with former Complexity teammates Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevich, who blamed him for their poor performance at CWL Anaheim 2018 when he chose to pursue a brand deal over practice, with Dashy even calling him “psychotic,” and stating that his former teammate “always plays the victim.” Censor labeled those claims as “slander,” and while he admits that he’s taken the “biggest L of his life” over this ongoing feud, that hasn’t stopped his relentless campaign to make it onto a CDL franchise team – and according to the American, he’s received a number of offers. While streaming Call of Duty’s Blackout mode on September 10, the former FaZe pro player was asked to confirm if he would “100%” be on a team next season, with Censor revealing that not only was he confident he would be on a team, he had received multiple proposals from organizations eager to sign him up. “I’m 100% going to be on a franchised team,” he replied to his Twitch chat. “I have interest. I’ve had players reach out to me saying they want me to be a substitute for their team, I’ve had organizations reach out to me saying they want me to play with them.” “I’m making a decision based on the org who wants me to play with them. If I don’t play on that team as a starter, I’ll be a bench player at another org. I have three offers to be a substitute, and one to be a starter. Obviously I’m going to weigh in the starting role very heavily, and I’ll go from there. It’s a process.” Censor refrained from revealing which franchises had made him specific offers, but the fact that he has been offered a starting berth on a squad may surprise some, considering he didn’t compete at a professional level throughout Black Ops 4. His ill-fated run on Complexity in 2018 was the last time he competed at CoD’s top table, although Censor has seen success in the past, winning the MLG Columbus Open back in 2017. Where Censor ends up in 2020 remains to be seen though, but he is definitely confident that we will see him back on our screens when the Modern Warfare season kicks off.

  • Censor announces return to competitive Call of Duty – Dexerto

Censor announces return to competitive Call of Duty CensorFormer professional Call of Duty player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin revealed in a new video that he wants to get picked up by a Call Of Duty franchise and return to pro play next year. A veteran CoD player, Censor first competed in the original Black Ops title back in 2011, before retiring from competing in 2016. After missing the Infinite Warfare season, he made his first comeback for the return to boots on the ground with CoD: WWII in 2017, but struggled to find success at any major events he attended. Censor is officially LFT After he originally planned to join the Evil Geniuses roster for Black Ops 4, it’s rumored Censor lost his spot to former eUnited player Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson, leaving no viable options for him and forcing him into retirement once again. Back in December of 2018, Censor tweeted “I’ve been watching teams practice and go to these events and all I can say is man… a LOT of teams really need my help.” In a YouTube video posted only hours later, Censor said he wanted to take a spot on the FaZe roster specifically. Now, in a new video released following the 2019 CWL Championship, Censor said he doesn’t care which org picks him up, as long as he can play professional Call of Duty once more. “I am literally flying out here (CWL Champs) specifically to meet with fans… and just show it to these franchises, because I really want to get picked up by a Call of Duty franchise next year,” Censor said in the video. “I just wanna show these franchises that there’s a community behind me who really want to see me play and support me.” After schmoozing it up with fans at the CWL champs, a freshly-shaven Censor explained more about why he wants to get back into pro play. “I want you all to understand how important I think this is and I really believe I could be the face of Call of Duty gaming, Call of Duty esports, I could make Call of Duty competitive blow up and be the coolest thing in the world,” the former pro said. “I have been dying – DYING – to play on a Call of Duty team, especially a top team since I won a championship.” New YouTube video New livestream Birthday tomorrow Meeting with franchise following day :hand_with_index_and_middle_fingers_crossed::skin-tone-2: Bald is beautiful. https://t.co/p8e0diGOwp pic.twitter.com/byYSKdgcdf— FaZe Censor (@Censor) August 20, 2019 But Censor’s ambitions to return to pro play now could be more serious than his previous attempts to make a comeback. “My plan guys, I have a meeting on Thursday, I don’t want to say with who in public,” he revealed. “It’s gonna be really obvious, I’ll leave it at that. It will be interesting to watch and see how Censor’s attempt to return to professional Call of Duty goes, who knows? Maybe with a new head of hair the former pro will also find a new team to compete with.

  • Censor Responds to Yanet “Throwing Shade” At Him and Discusses his Heartbreak at CWL Champs – Dexerto

Censor Responds to Yanet “Throwing Shade” At Him and Discusses his Heartbreak at CWL Champs compLexity Gaming player Doug “Censor” Martin has opened up about the recent Call of Duty World Championship, and addressed his former girlfriend Yanet Garcia “throwing shade” at him online. Following their very public break up, which sparked more interest than they probably expected across the internet and social media, Censor admits his “life has turned into a meme this past month.” Censor and his long time girlfriend split with both of them moving in different directions professionally, as Censor needed to put more time into competing at the highest level of CoD esports. He had vowed to win the CWL Championship, but despite good performances at the tournament, his team came up short, finishing top 16. Evil Geniuses won the event, and Yanet posted on Twitter an image of one of the winning players, Justin “SiLLY” Fargo, with his partner celebrating the win, and added the caption “True love”. In his video, Censor responds, and tried to clear up the situation once again. “A lot of you think I just broke up with her for Call of Duty, and it’s pretty obvious that that’s not the only reason why, but I don’t want to get into the specifics or the details, I know it’s not my place. I know she’s going out and throwing shade on me literally every single day on Twitter, and she’s still liking all my stuff on Instagram but she unfollows me. It doesn’t make sense to me, whatever, everyone grieves in their own way.” He continues, going into more details about why they split. “One of the major reasons why I did it, is because I wanted to focus on my career. And I just don’t understand the point of being in a long distance relationship, where we can’t see each other because we have careers. I just feel like it would be a waste of time.” Finally, he also congratulated SiLLY especially for winning CWL Champs while still keeping his own relationship. SiLLY’s teammate, Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov, is also married. “So for all the players out there who are able to be in relationships and still win, like I know SiLLY has a girlfriend and he won, so like kudos to those guys, because I can’t imagine how hard it is. It’s so tough to balance being a competitor, having relationships and having a normal life, like actual friends in real life.” You can watch Censor’s full video on the situation from his channel below, discussing Yanet at around the 2 minute 30 mark.

  • Censor reportedly dropped from NYSL Challengers team after New York event – Dexerto

Censor reportedly dropped from NYSL Challengers team after New York event Call of Duty League / Infinity Ward[jwplayer z3p0CsO9]Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has reportedly been dropped from the New York Subliners’ brand-new Academy partnership team Triumph Gaming after just a single event with the Challengers roster. Censor had long been clamoring for Call of Duty League officials to change the substitute rules. Official CDL subs are not allowed to compete in the Challengers scene unless it’s for an Academy roster. After months of sitting inactive on the bench, his wishes finally came true. On July 10 the Subliners announced a new partnership with prominent Challengers organization Triumph Gaming. Through this newfound relationship, Censor was finally able to compete in the Modern Warfare cycle. He didn’t reach the podium in his first run however, and now it appears Censor might not get another chance. The Academy team has reportedly already made plans to replace Censor after just a single appearance in the recent New York Open event. The NSYL Academy squad finished in fourth place during the latest Challengers tournament. Just days later moves are already being made, as Censor has reportedly been rotated out of the starting lineup, according to CDL Intel. Filling out the roster will now be relative newcomer Conor ‘Diamondcon’ Johst of North American organization Sixth Gear. It quickly became clear that the team wasn’t satisfied with a fourth-place finish. “My performance that series was unacceptable,” Censor said. “Need to hit the damn lab and get better as a team,” teammate Eli ‘Standy’ Bentz added. Almost got the reverse sweep. Being replaced on the NSYL Academy lineup means that he is back to square one. Sitting on the bench for the main Subliners roster unless he decides to cut ties with the organization entirely. Having just won the latest League Home Series, it’s almost certain the main Subliners roster stays intact; currently sitting in fifth place overall, with two regular-season events left, slotting Censor into the main roster now, wouldn’t make much sense. Therefore, this Challengers run could very well be Censor’s only real competitive experience with Modern Warfare. While he’s usually vocal on social media, Censor has yet to address the roster shakeup. Official Subliners and Triumph channels are also yet to confirm the move. Only two Challengers events remain before the final $250,000 North American Championship tournament in August. Whether Censor will find himself back in rotation before then, remains to be seen.

Censor raises over $4000 in charity stream for victims of recent mass shootings Censor/YouTubeFaZe Clan’s Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin raised over $4,000 dollars for victims of the recent mass shootings after holding a six-hour charity live stream. On August 3 and 4, members of the El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio communities suffered tragic losses as mass shootings rocked the United States once again. While politicians have been quick to blame “gruesome” video games as a problem, the gaming community has stepped up to help. Former Call of Duty professional Censor explained that he wanted to play his part in helping families recover from the tragedy by trying to raise some money to help ease the financial burden of saying goodbye to a loved one. During his charity stream on August 5, Censor stuck to Black Ops 4 for over six hours – playing Blackout alongside players like BobbyPoff and OpTic Gaming‘s Patryk ‘Rallied‘ Salata. Of course, his fans and passing viewers dug into their pockets to help support the cause – with big and small donations alike. After all was said and done, Martin revealed the final amount that was raised in a Twitter post thanking everyone for playing their part in helping. “We raised a total of $4,125.99 in our stream today for the families of the victims involved in the horrific shootings over the weekend,” he tweeted. “I know we can’t fix what was done, but I’m sure this money helps a little bit. Censor opens up about being dropped by compLexity and what the future holds Former compLexity Call of Duty player Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has opened up about his departure from the organization, and what he’s hoping to do heading into Black Ops 4. Censor was officially released by compLexity on Tuesday, October 2, alongside teammates Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacey and Rasim “Blazt” Ogresevic. In a video uploaded to Martin’s YouTube channel, the Call of Duty star stated that compLexity didn’t want to release the trio, saying: “compLexity wanted to keep me, Ricky and Blazt. They really wanted to keep us around.” The American confirmed that the exit of Dashy, who left to join OpTic Gaming, made it difficult to acquire players because “Ricky, Blazt and I don’t have the highest stock amongst the Pro League.” With it becoming increasingly difficult to attract players, compLexity decided to switch focus and look at other possibilities inside the CoD scene. Currently, Censor is uncertain of what he’ll be doing during Black Ops 4. Censor stated: “Hopefully it’s all going to work out for me. I don’t know what the next step is going to be, there are some options that I’m looking at, but it’s really difficult.” While the organization’s decision to move away from their established CoD lineup has left Censor without a team, he doesn’t hold any hard feelings against compLexity, thanking them for the way they treated him, and stated that he wished them all the best. The new Call of Duty season is set to kick off on Friday, December 7 in Las Vegas, and it will be interesting to see who Censor is teaming with when that event begins. As for compLexity, they have confirmed they hope to stay in the Call of Duty esports scene, but the change to 5v5 has already pushed some established organizations out, and compLexity may follow suit.

  • Censor names the four CoD pros he’d win “many” championships with – Dexerto

Censor names the four CoD pros he’d win “many” championships with MLGFormer Call of Duty pro player Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has named his dream team when it comes to competitive CoD, claiming he could win “many” championships if they all teamed together. Censor’s career in Call of Duty esports has been an up-and-down affair, to say the least. He found some success early on, but the last few years have been difficult, as he hasn’t really come close to winning a tournament over that span. Discussing the topic with OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘H3CZ‘ Rodriguez, the YouTuber was posed with the question of which four players he would love to team with, with the goal being to win championships. “I would take SlasheR number one,” he said. “Gunless if he liked me. He doesn’t like me in-game, but it terms of talent, Gunless. I would take Apathy, and I would take Karma.” Read More: Censor explains why he’s “hurt” by FaZe Clan – “And you think you got the chops right there?” H3CZ asked. “Many, many championships,” Censor answered. To avoid potentially disrespecting anyone, Censor did not say who he’d have as their sixth man off the bench, although did bring up the fact that current Splyce star Huke was his sub on FaZe Clan. “When I was captain of FaZe, and we won, I picked up Huke and he was my sub, because I knew he was so good,” he explained. “I have a knack for finding talent. And look at him now, he hasn’t won anything, which is surprising, but he’s one of the most talented players.” CENSOR’S CALL OF DUTY DREAM TEAM Himself – Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat (100 Thieves) – Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman (Team Envy) – Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov (Evil Geniuses) – Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow (OpTic Gaming) – Censor and H3CZ’s conversation can be viewed below, starting at the 12:06 mark for mobile users Censor also had different reasons for why he would pick these players for his dream team. When it comes to Apathy and SlasheR, he has significant experience teaming with both superstars, including at the MLG Columbus Open in 2014, where their FaZe Clan team finished in first place. As for Gunless and Karma, it comes down to pure talent, as both players have chiseled their names into CoD esports lore as being among the most proficient competitors. Of course, teaming with these kinds of superstars may not be easy for the former compLexity Gaming pro, who has found it difficult to land with a star-studded roster since his days with FaZe. • Censor joins Triumph Gaming as team becomes NYSL’s Challengers team – Dexerto

Censor joins Triumph Gaming as team becomes NYSL’s Challengers team Instagram, @Subliners / Triumph Gaming / New York Subliners[jwplayer mCpsAxNx] A top Call of Duty League’s Challengers organization, Triumph Gaming, have officially become the New York Subliners’ Academy Team and signed Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, who finally gets his chance to play after being a substitute all year. For months, Censor has decried a CDL system that prohibits substitute players from official playing opportunities lest their teams have an affiliated Challengers squad. Those issues appear resolved as the Subliners and Triumph have announced an affiliation, thereby satisfying the contract and Challengers ruleset stipulations that precluded Censor’s chance to compete. Censor replaces David ‘Davpadie’ Maslowski in the lineup, joining fellow CoD veterans FeLo, Nagafen, Royalty, and Standy just ahead of their tournament action this weekend. Let’s get moving, New York. #NYSL #TogetherWeTriumph pic.twitter.com/AnRGi3c1RR — Triumph 🦌 (@TriumphGamingGG) July 10, 2020 While it’s unclear exactly how the meta will shift, given recent gun adjustments and GA’s, Censor is joining one of the strongest teams in Challengers so it will be interesting to find out what role coach Steve ‘Mochila’ Canle gives to his new player. In his reaction video, Censor was absolutely ecstatic about his chance and committed to proving his doubters wrong. “This is a huge opportunity for me personally and I can’t be more grateful than I actually am,” he said. “This is truly just a dream come true to me … It’s time to get to work, let’s get it.” The source of Censor’s issues with the CDL stemmed from an inability to compete in Challengers as a substitute for a team without a true Challengers affiliation. Per the CDL’s official amateur ruleset, “players may negotiate the right for the CDL Team to designate the player as eligible to compete in Challengers on an affiliated Challengers Team or Academy Team.” Since the Subliners lacked such an affiliation, there was no simply way for the veteran to participate in the amateur circuit without breaching his contract. This new partnership with Triumph solves that predicament, allowing one of CoD’s storied players to get back into tournament play. As for why he had yet to play in official CDL matches for the Subliners, many have speculated that New York’s roster was too stacked and that his level of play and preferred style didn’t quite match the lineup’s most impressive addition thus far: Makenzie ‘Mack’ Kelley. Now that speculation has followed him over to Triumph, thanks to multiple seven-kill duds he recently put up in scrims against the Chicago Huntsmen, including one where he had 27 deaths. It’s hard to judge a player exclusively by their performance with a brand-new team and against one of the CDL’s strongest rosters. So, while the “C7” memes may be popular now, it’d be unfair not to expect improvement from Triumph—especially against Challengers competition. Until proven otherwise, this is an intriguing, winning situation for all parties involved. The CoD semi-pro scene gains popularity, the CDL and Subliners get to provide more opportunities for bench talent, and Censor finally gets his shot at competitive Call of Duty action.

Censor issues final warning for Call of Duty stream snipers Twitter: @Censor / Infinity WardEx-Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin has had enough of Blackout stream snipers, and issued a final warning in a stark Twitter rant on August 13. Blackout is Call of Duty’s first entry into the battle royale genre, and made waves when it was first introduced as a mode in 2018’s Black Ops 4, especially with Twitch users. CoD pro Censor has been an avid fan of the game since launch, but like many other streamers, faces the issue of being ‘stream sniped’ every time he broadcasts on the platform. Enough was enough on August 13, when he issued a final warning to those finding fun in ruining his matches. Censor used to play CoD professionally. Censor is fed up with being stream-sniped The ex-pro first complained with a tweet on August 13, saying that he was going to get anyone with the TTV (Twitch.tv) tag in his lobby banned if he finds out they’re stream sniping him. “If I see any person in a blackout lobby that kills me with TTV in their clan tag I’m stopping what I’m doing and going to your stream and if I get stream sniped I’m getting you banned immediately.” he said. Let me talk about this…” he began. “Just because you have ‘Team TTV’ in your tag and you’re streaming, it doesn’t mean that you’re stream sniping me or any other Blackout streamer.” Censor then went on to threaten snipers with bans: “All I’m trying to say is that at least 50% of my deaths on a daily basis are people with TTV in their clan tag, and I’m just gonna start watching their streams. And if I know that they’re stream sniping and I can see it on their VOD, I will just talk to Twitch and get you banned because you can’t do that. It’s not something that you’re allowed to do.” Censor says he will get people banned if they stream snipe him. The CoD player continued by saying that snipers are just ruining his content for his viewers: “50% of the deaths I get on an eight hour basis of streaming Blackout are from people who are just trying to ruin the product I’m putting out to people.” “This doesn’t have anything to do with money, or success, or ego, or following, I really just don’t care about any of that stuff. I care about putting out a quality livestream on a day-to-day basis and playing this game for eight hours a day and having people trying to ruin my stream.” “I’m sure any other Blackout streamer, Fortnite streamer in general, deals with this all the time, but I’m just speaking out about it. I’m just tired of it, dude. It’s really frustrating having to deal with this shit.” Censor boasts over 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube and almost 120,000 followers on Twitch as of August 14.

  • Censor: How I’ll return to the top of Call of Duty esports – Dexerto

Censor: How I’ll return to the top of Call of Duty esports Nobody quite knew what to expect from the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League, and it appears some players, such as Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, didn’t even know what they were signing up for, either. Censor is a Call of Duty veteran and currently a substitute for the New York Subliners, and he sat down with us to talk about some of his grievances with the way the league currently works and the position he has found himself in. “If I’m a substitute on a pro team there is going to be some benefits from it,” he thought but, unfortunately, it seemed some things weren’t clear. “I’m pretty sure that our owner wants to make sure he gets what he can out of me. I wouldn’t want to spend $50,000 just to pay a guy for no reason.” The main problem Censor had with the situation he was in was that he could not get any significant practice. He would not get picked for tens and he also was not allowed to compete with other teams’ substitutes, essentially being relegated to never getting the chance to prove himself. Nonetheless, Censor insists he has absolutely no intention of stopping competing any time soon. “I want to be a competitor forever,” he said. “I want to play until I can never play again and see how far I can take this scene, kind of like how Tom Brady and Lebron James are doing.” So what’s next for Censor? He plans on taking to Challengers, and maybe we’ll see him become a pro once again.

  • Censor hits back after NY Subliners teammate Temp calls him “trash” – Dexerto

Censor hits back after NY Subliners teammate Temp calls him “trash” YouTube: Censor / MLGNew York Subliners substitute Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has hit back at teammate Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda, who called him “trash” after picking alternate sub Nick ‘Happy’ Suda to take a starting roster place. Despite his hard work throughout the Modern Warfare season so far, Censor has failed to pick up a starting role on the team, even though Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris was recently benched after a string of underwhelming results. Censor explained during a stream that the team – but predominantly Temp – wanted Happy to take Zer0’s spot, and that Temp even called him trash when discussions were ongoing. Then, in a series of pro 10s matches, Censor and Temp found themselves on opposing teams – and Doug was relishing in the opportunity to prove his teammate wrong. After getting a kill on Temp, Doug simply says “you f**king suck, dude,” already showing his anger at his teammate and the situation. Then, after a successful map of Gun Runner hardpoint, Doug finished top of the leaderboards with 7000 score – and lets Temp know exactly what he thinks. “Let’s go, dude,” he says. “Don’t ever f**king say I’m trash, bro,” an impassioned Censor calls out, clearly angling towards his New York teammate. He continues: “I grind this game way too much to hear that bulls**t. I play way too much of this game for people to call me trash. Let me see you put up 7000 score doing the objective. Let me see what you can do, Don.” He makes no secret that he’s speaking directly to Temp, who will have been forced to bite his tongue after taking the loss in the map. The drama surrounding Censor and his team continues to unfurl after he and his Dad were forced to apologize for an Instagram post slamming each of his teammates. Whether any of this is going to affect either Temp or Censor’s standing with the Subliners organization remains to be seen, as there haven’t been any public spats between teammates since the launch of the Call of Duty League. If anything comes from this, it may set a precedent for how players and teams deal with issues in the future.

Censor hits back after Crimsix can’t stop laughing at his guilty pleasure OpTic Gaming CoD player Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter couldn’t hold back the laughter after hearing that his fellow pro Doug ‘Censor’ Martin was planning on getting a pedicure, but Censor stuck to his guns. The pair were warming up for the Ghosts throwback tournament hosted by UMG and another OpTic member, Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards, when Censor revealed his guilty pleasure. After it became a possibility that some of the teams in the throwback tournament might have to withdraw, Censor said he was all for it, saying he “wouldn’t mind that – I want to get a pedicure bro.” It seemed innocent enough, but Crimsix clearly wasn’t entirely comfortable with the image of Censor having his feet and nails treated so delicately, and burst out laughing. Such was his dismay, he then posted the clip to Twitter to share it with the world, with the caption “Uhhhh what the fuck @Censor….?” But Censor stuck to his guns, hitting back on Twitter and defending his feet care choices – “ain’t nothing wrong with a man taking care of himself in 2018”. Neither Crimsix’ nor Censor’s team came out on top in the Ghosts throwback, which was won by underdogs OpTic Nation, with Envy runners up.

Now, though, he’s been left “heartbroken” after his Challengers team dropped him for three-time world champion James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks. Throughout the CDL, Censor has been on a steady mission to go pro again and prove his worth against the very best Call of Duty players in the world. Meanwhile, Clayster is a multi-time world champion and considered one of the greatest players in the game, regularly finding the winning formula despite the diversity he’s faced. That said, it hasn’t stopped Censor from expressing his disappointment at being dropped, sharing the news to his 1.2 million followers on Twitter. The third time I’ve been heartbroken this year. Dropped for Jimbo, dropped for Clayster, the show goes on 🙌🏻 pic.twitter.com/FZipJ5qJQj — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) May 4, 2022 “The third time I’ve been heartbroken this year,” the post said. “Dropped for Jimbo, dropped for Clayster, the show goes on.” Read More: CDL 2022 standings & schedule – The text in the screenshot, from Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson, read: “’I’m gonna be completely honest Clay hit me up and got approved to play for the rest of this year in Challengers and I’m 100% going to play with him because I think that is my best chance of getting back, I did hit up John and Dan and they are both trying to take the same route, I know ur gonna f**kin hate me but it’s Clay if it’s anyone else this isn’t even a conversation. I’m sorry Doug.” Confirming that he “just lost his whole team,” Censor was evidently upset at what had happened, but it’s not often a Challengers team will get the chance to play with the caliber of someone like Clayster. The new Challengers team going forward, barring any more changes, is: James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks – Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson – Giancarlos ‘oJohnny’ Carrasco – Dan ‘Ghosty’ –

  • Censor flames Crimsix after announcing he wants to compete again – “You couldn’t do sh*t” – Dexerto

Censor flames Crimsix after announcing he wants to compete again – “You couldn’t do sh*t” compLexity – Twitter / Crimsix – TwitterFormer Call of Duty pro player Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin engaged in a friendly war of words with OpTic Gaming’s Ian ‘Crimsix‘ Porter after revealing his intentions to compete again. On June 3, Censor hinted that he was strongly considering returning to competing next season, claiming that he will be “winning champs on Modern Warfare next year.” In response, Midnight Esports’ Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevich, a former teammate of his, playfully suggested a scenario in which his team would defeat Crimsix and OpTic in the Grand Finals of Champs. Censor said that he would relish the challenge, hoping it would come down to the two longtime competitors facing off with a world championship at stake. “If my team actually goes up against Crimsix in Grand Finals, I hope it comes down to me versus him 1v1 or the win,” he tweeted.” I want to have that over him too.” If my team actually goes up against @OpTic_Crimsix in grand finals I hope it comes down to me vs him 1v1 for the win. I want to have that over him too. — FaZe Censor (@Censor) June 4, 2019 The Crimbot, of course, was not going to let that kind of comment slide unnoticed, as he responded to it by saying he’d “grill” Censor, making a cunning reference to the new high-end grilling station that the FaZe star recently installed in his backyard. This is where the boldest statement of the whole interaction was made, when Censor replied by saying that the OpTic man would be unable to stop him. “You couldn’t do shit,” he tweeted. “You’ve already tried multiple times and failed every single time.” While it was obvious that the two were exchanging in some friendly banter, that last comment had many on Twitter reading it with their eyes wide. you couldn’t do shit. you’ve already tried multiple times and failed. every single time. — FaZe Censor (@Censor) June 4, 2019 Can Censor successfully compete again? Censor’s announcement that he wants to compete again caught many off-guard after what most had felt had been his final retirement after the WWII season. However, as he pointed out in a string of tweets, he’s taken a step away from competing in the past on several occasions only to return after the hiatuses and find success once more. I took a year off in BO2 came back in Ghosts and won 2 chips. I took 3 years off came back in WW2 and was the 1st retired player to make it into the pro league with ZERO help at all from anybody. That’s facts :grinning: https://t.co/sdEVNHVTeO — FaZe Censor (@Censor) June 4, 2019 The only difference this time around would be the fact that CoD esports will be transitioning to a franchised league for next season, and there are questions as to whether top organizations would be willing to recruit him and hope that he pulls off another successful return from retirement. He does seem intent on trying to make it, however, so it’ll just have to be a case of wait and see when it comes to Doug ‘Censor’ Martin.

  • Censor finally reaches number 1 rank in Call of Duty Vanguard after non-stop grind – Dexerto

Censor finally reaches number 1 rank in Call of Duty Vanguard after non-stop grind Activision/Twitter: CensorCall of Duty League star Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has finally reached the number 1 spot in Vanguard’s ranked play mode after weeks of grinding to reach the top. Censor has spent the last few years trying to get back into the ranks of the Call of Duty elite, playing in the CDL alongside the likes of Scump, Crimsix, and Simp. Despite his struggles to attain pro status once again, Doug has remained one of the most popular players in the scene and was announced as a content creator for CDL franchise Boston Breach on April 2, while playing in the Challengers tournament at Major 2. Since ranked play launched in Vanguard, though, Censor decided to make it his aim to reach the number 1 spot in the competitive mode, with his first post on April 6 showing him to be at #79, after starting the day from outside the top 250. Started the day outside the top 250, going to get that #1 spot. pic.twitter.com/tQVUpy8KNe — Doug Censor Martin (@Censor) April 6, 2022 In the weeks following, Censor made it his main priority to reach number 1, regularly updating fans and followers along the way. Read More: CDL 2022: Standings & schedule – Less than two weeks later, on April 19, Censor confirmed that he had finally reached the top of the mountain. “Top 2 and I’m not second,” he said, accompanied by a screenshot of his name above every other player in Vanguard, with over 6100 SR. He hit the top spot shortly after the number 1 player, Cha1n, received a huge SR deduction, presumably for having played with cheaters in the past. The most prominent of those was pplehx, who was banned after accidentally exposing his cheats on stream while #2 on the leaderboards. There’s been a lot of discussion over how many cheaters occupy spots in the top 250, so if anything, Censor’s rise to the top could have been delayed on account of coming up against cheaters and the biggest ones sitting above him before. When Censor isn’t competing or dominating his opponents in Vanguard ranked play, you can catch him co-hosting Dexerto’s flagship Call of Duty League show, Reverse Sweep.

  • Censor finally joins Call of Duty franchise team and teases fans – Dexerto

Censor finally joins Call of Duty franchise team and teases fans YouTube: CensorFormer Call of Duty professional Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has given another hint at his future with franchising and making a comeback to the pro level – confirming that he has, indeed, signed with a team. Competitive Call of Duty is undergoing a major shift with the pivot from the open ecosystem to franchising with 12 teams confirmed for the inaugural season. Some rosters, like London and Paris, have already been confirmed but the wait is ongoing for fans who want to see where their favorite players land. One of those players is Censor who has confirmed that he has a spot with a franchise team, but has not revealed what role he will have. In his ‘My Next Chapter’ YouTube video, the former FaZe Clan player noted that he’s been in discussion with teams and that he finally settled on a spot. “Call of Duty – I have signed with a team, I am on a team and I am excited to be a part of this team,” Censor confirmed before carrying on with his teases. “Every single player on this roster is an amazing, experienced player. All these people that I respect and I’ve respected for such a long time and I am so happy to be affiliated with them. I am proud to be affiliated with these guys.” However, the YouTuber further teased that he might not be an active player and may play a different role for his new squad. He added: “I cannot wait to be in the system and doing everything I can to help. I can’t give you guys more yet, I can’t tell you who it is, who I’m playing for, or what I’ll be doing because I have to coordinate that with the team.” As the roster rules state, teams can sign over the normal five-player roster limit and substitute in during games throughout the season just like the Overwatch League. Some popular OWL players have even used their substitute spots to transition out of actively playing and focus more on content creation. It remains to be seen as to who Censor ends up joining, or if he’ll be an active player on a franchise roster, but his rabid social media following means that he’ll certain attract interest for wherever he goes.

  • Censor explains why he’s “hurt” by FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Censor explains why he’s “hurt” by FaZe Clan Former professional Call of Duty player Doug ‘Censor‘ Martin discussed his current relationship with FaZe Clan during his appearance on Logan Paul‘s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, explaining how the organization, to which he is still loyal, has “hurt” him. Censor still associates himself with the FaZe organization, despite having not played for the professional team since 2015, but has expressed his desire to return to the legendary roster. His last appearance in the FaZe jersey in a professional capacity came at the 2015 Call of Duty World Championship, representing Faze Black and finishing top 16. Before this, he had been dropped from the main FaZe Clan roster, a story he recalled on the podcast. After Censor helped FaZe to victory at MLG Columbus 2014, beating OpTic Gaming in the grand finals, he explains that owners Temperrr and Banks “sat him down” and told him that there would be a new captain, Patrick ‘ACHES‘ Price. ACHES and the rest of the team apparently did not want to play with Censor, and, as he explains it, he “was never really able to play on a good team since then.” “I’ve always been a little bit hurt about it. Definitely,” Martin confirmed, but explained that he still feels he owes something to the organization: “They helped me out so much in my career, and also, it’s not like FaZe ever did anything malicious, or they were angry at me. We always had great friendships.” Despite the hurt he felt, and apparently still feels, over the decision, Censor explains it turned out for the best, allowing him to focus on making videos and growing his brand as a YouTuber. Censor explains that it “eats him alive” that he’s not on the FaZe Call of Duty team, saying “I’ve been dying to play on the CoD team since 2015. Censor also revealed that he spoke to Banks before the start of WWII, and was under the impression he would be the captain of the FaZe team, but again the other players on the roster chose not to play with him: “The players on the team at the time thought I was washed up and not good enough.” Censor went on to beat FaZe with Lightning Pandas at CWL Birmingham in CoD: WWII, and finished top 16 at the World Championship with CompLexity. He was set to join Evil Geniuses for the Black Ops 4 season, but was dropped just before the season began, with EG opting to pick up Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson instead. With Modern Warfare and the franchised league on the horizon, Censor has made clear his intentions to return to professional play when the new game releases on October 25. Whether he can prove himself worthy of a spot on FaZe remains to be seen.
