  • All confirmed maps in Black Ops 6 – Dexerto

All confirmed maps in Black Ops 6 DexertoCall of Duty Black Ops 6 is set to launch with a massive collection of brand-new multiplayer maps, featuring two different types of Core and Strike. Black Ops 6 will be officially released on 25 October, 2024. Unlike MW3’s approach of launching with just remastered versions of classic maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) game, the upcoming CoD title will instead be unleashed with all-new maps. As ever, the devs have provided a diverse map pool, incorporating a range of small to medium-sized maps with traditional three-lane routes and typical CoD elements. However, with the introduction of the Omnimovement game mechanic, they have also been specifically designed to suit the changes. Here’s a complete list of every map coming to Black Ops 6 and everything you need to know. Every multiplayer map When Black Ops 6 releases, 16 brand-new maps will be available to play at launch. These are split into two types of maps: 4 will be classified as Strike maps and the remaining 12 as Core 6v6 maps. The smaller Strike maps have been designed to be played in either Face Off 6v6 or 2v2 game formats, while Core maps can only be played as the standard 6v6 configuration. Here are all 16 maps confirmed in Black Ops 6: Core Babylon – Derelict – Lowtown – Payback – Protocol – Red Card – Rewind – Scud – Skyline – Subsonic – Vault – Vorkuta – Strike Gala – Pit – Sand House – Stakeout – As more updates and seasons are introduced to Black Ops 6, additional maps, such as remastered versions of older maps or more new maps, will be added. Check out our guides on Black Ops 6 to learn how to level up quickly and earn XP fast, what free rewards are available from the beta, and which loadouts work best with the meta weapons, the Jackal PDW Submachine Gun and XM4 Assault Rifle.

  • Here’s how split screen works in Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout – Dexerto

Here’s how split screen works in Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout ActivisionEven though it used to be fairly common, split screen multiplayer is a rare sight in games today, which is why people are excited it’s featured in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout battle royale mode. Split screen is the ability to play with a friend using the same game, system and screen, hence the name, and before online gaming was mainstream it was how pretty much everyone played video games with their friends. Both players still need to have either a Playstation Network or Xbox Live subscription on their accounts if they want to play split screen together and have to join the same lobby in order to play split screen. A Reddit post on the addition of split screen has more than 2,500 upvotes and rising on the official Black Ops 4 subreddit, which shows people are obviously glad to see it. Blackout is the first battle royale game to include split screen, too, just another thing that shows it intends to compete with games like Fortnite and wasn’t just a gimmick or thrown in without a lot of developer support. The feature is returning to Call of Duty’s Zombie mode too, the game had split screen for Zombies before on the PS4 and Xbox One, but it wasn’t available on PS3 or Xbox 360. https://www.reddit.com/r/Blackops4/comments/9nd93u/theres_split_screen_in_blackout/ Split Screen isn’t available on PC yet, but to have it included on day one for console has already impressed a lot of people. Since its private beta, blackout has been one of the big things building the hype for the newest Call of Duty game, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down even after launch.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Hinted To Feature At Upcoming E3 Show ‘E3 Coliseum’ – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Hinted To Feature At Upcoming E3 Show ‘E3 Coliseum’ There is still very little known about this year’s upcoming instalment in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 4, but a tweet from E3 has all but confirmed the popular Zombies mode will return. First revealed back in March 2018, the new game will release earlier than usual, on October 12th, but the reveal did little more than show clips from previous games in the Black Ops series. Save for a couple small hints at multiplayer (perks and pick 10 create-a-class system) there has been next nothing from any official source since then. In fact, with the exception of multiplayer, fans do not even know what modes will be in the game – with many hints towards the tradition campaign mode being scrapped, and a new Battle Royale mode in its place. Now though, a tweet from organizers of the biggest annual gaming convention, E3, have all but confirmed Zombies will return in Black Ops 4. The tweet carefully avoids flat out stating that BO4 will have Zombies, instead asking “what is next” and to listen to the history of Zombies in past Black Ops games. What’s lurking around the corner of @Treyarch’s next Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies experience? Come hear the history of Call of Duty Zombies from the creators themselves at #E3Coliseum! Purchase at https://t.co/QOa74rE263 #E32018 pic.twitter.com/xW9uomRMtI — E3 (@E3) May 7, 2018 However, the Tweet very clearly and strongly suggests that Treyarch will have some new information to share about the Black Ops Zombies ‘experience’ – whatever that may entail in the coming release. Of course E3 will take place in June, long after Treyarch have completed their much anticipated curtain raiser at the community reveal event on May 17th. That is when fans should get the first real knowledge about what exactly is to come in the fourth Black Ops game.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Will Feature a Brand New Predictive Recoil Pattern System – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Will Feature a Brand New Predictive Recoil Pattern System Developer Treyarch have announced that a brand new ‘predictive recoil’ pattern system will be featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This announcement came as part of the Black Ops 4 Community Reveal Event on May 17th that offered the first glimpse of the next title in the storied CoD franchise. As the name suggests, this new predictive recoil system will add a predictable recoil pattern for all of the weapons in the upcoming game. This means that as the weapons are fired, the bullets will travel in a variety of specific and pre-determined directions as opposed to being completely random. Read More: BLACKOUT Battle Royale Comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 With A Combination of Previous Black Ops Maps, Characters, and More! – The addition of this new system will most certainly add a new dimension to the concept of “gun-skill” as it will reward players who take the time to master each weapon and its specific recoil pattern. Players will now have the ability to better control weapons when firing, which could have a major impact on the skill gap of the game down the road. This will add a similarity between Call of Duty and another popular first-person shooter CounterStrike: Global Offensive, which also uses a similar predictive recoil pattern system in its weapon mechanics. – Here is the first look at the predictive recoil system that will feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be the first game in our history to use a true predictive recoil pattern system. This allows you to constantly make micro-adjustments while aiming and shooting. This means that the gameplay of each weapon is learnable; there’s a path to mastering this, rewarding for new players and veterans alike. This is by far our biggest investment in weapons platform and combat systems that we’ve made, to give you the most rewarding and visceral experience by pushing the state-of-the-art of weapons’ visuals, animations, and sound effects.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Was Never Set to Include a ‘Traditional’ Single-Player Campaign According to Treyarch – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Was Never Set to Include a ‘Traditional’ Single-Player Campaign According to Treyarch Treyarch has confirmed that a ‘traditional’ single-player Campaign mode was never set to be included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 following the ‘Community Reveal Event.’ Set to release on October 12th, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has already become one of the most hyped upcoming titles of 2018 following its ‘Community Reveal Event’ which announced various aspects of the game for fans. Black Ops 4 will include a redefined multiplayer mode, a new Zombies storyline, and the addition of a ‘Battle Royale’ mode for the first time in CoD history, however, it will be lacking a single-player Campaign mode. Prior to the reveal event, a number of leaks from different sources stated that BO4 would not have a Campaign mode, which would allow Treyarch to focus on other modes. Now that the rumors have been confirmed, Polygon sat down with Dan Bunting, a Treyarch studio Co-Head, to discuss the decision to leave out a true single-player experience following the major event. “When we set out to make this game, we never started with the idea that we would make a traditional campaign […] That was just not part of our plan. We started from a place that we were gonna make a game that across the board can be playable with friends. That’s been our mission from day one.” He later went on to mention how Black Ops 4 was specifically developed to ‘expand’ over time, and provide fans with countless hours of replay value for years to come. [] is built to be expandable, adaptable, [and] it’s going to evolve over time […] We’ve gone into this knowing that we’re making a game that can be played with friends across the board and going to be played for a long time to come, many years. We learned that lesson in a big way with . We didn’t necessarily build to be run like that. We just learned, evolved and adapted to run it that way. We’re still not done releasing content for that game.” We will continue to provide updates on new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 information as the community gears up for its release in October of 2018.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to feature World League Hub, League Play Events, Clans and more – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to feature World League Hub, League Play Events, Clans and more Shortly after the reveal for the 2019 CWL Season, Treyarch have announced a new in game area which will be dedicated to esports, called the World League Hub, plus more details on League Play in Black Ops 4. Treyarch outlined their ambition to make Black Ops 4 their “deepest and most competitive game to date”, and said that they have thought about competitive play throughout the development process. The acknowledge that the spectator aspect of competitive is almost as significant as the playing aspect, which is why they say Black Ops 4 is “built with the goal of making the game as fun to watch as it is to play.” World League Hub To help attract more spectators – particularly from the casual Call of Duty playerbase, which has had an obvious disconnect with competitive play for many years – the new World League Hub will be introduced. “Introducing the World League Hub, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s in-game home for all things esports and competitive play. Players can come to the World League Hub to play like the pros in Treyarch’s Pro Series competitive playlist format, watch Call of Duty World League streamed events, and learn about the latest happenings in the CWL.” Players will be able to see CWL news and livestreams in this dedicated hub, as well as watch VOD’s from previous events. League Play Pro Series The new Pro Series will be Black Ops 4’s equivalent to WWII’s ranked play, but Treyarch are taking it to the next level. The Pro Series playlists will use official competitive rulesets, maps and modes. The matchmaking will be based on teams and players with similar skill levels, but details on how this is determined is not given. League Play Events There will also be opportunities to win “in-game prizes and recognition” in weekend events lasting three days. “Players will be assigned to a League Play Ladder after their first game in League Play. Players may compete as a team in Team Ladders, or as a solo competitor against other solo competitors in a Solo Ladder. Events will use the Pro Series settings and format, and players will earn BO4 Ladder Points for wins (or lose points for losses). Earn the most Ladder Points by the end of the event to take 1st Place.” The events will take place either every weekend or every other weekend, in an effort to “maximize the intensity” and make each match victory more significant. Gauntlet Events The Gauntlet will use the same League Play structure, but your will have to reach a certain number of wins before hitting a certain number of losses: “Each loss counts as a strike, and players who accumulate too many strikes will have to start the Gauntlet over.” If you complete the Gauntlet, you will be rewarded with in-game items, and is “designed to be a more accessible and digestible” competitive playlist. Clans and Teams The Clans feature is making its return to Call of Duty for the first time since Modern Warfare 3, in Black Ops 4. This is where you can manage your competitive team, which can be up to seven players. “Clans support up to 100 players, and players within Clans may become a member of up to three teams, allowing even more flexibility to play together. Teams have a name, emblem, and their own home page in the Clan Headquarters to easily gather and play together.” The Clans feature is not exclusive to competitive and League Play however, as it can also be used for regular multiplayer and Zombies. • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks Revealed for Upcoming Multiplayer Beta – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks Revealed for Upcoming Multiplayer Beta The multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is only days away, and for the first time scorestreaks which will be available have been revealed. It will come as no surprise that scorestreaks make a return in Black Ops 4, as they have been a staple of every entry in the series since CoD 4, and some familiar looking payloads will return this year. PS4 players who have preordered the game will get hands on with the beta on August 3, and will be the fist to get hands on with these scorestreaks. Some of the returning favorites include the RC-XD (remote controlled explosive device), which first appeared in Black Ops 1. For Black Ops 4, it is back on the ground – gone is the floating, jumping ‘HC-XD’ of Black Ops III. More: Sledgehammer Reveals Special Rewards for Reaching Master Prestige Levels 400 and 600 in CoD: WWII – There is also the return of the Hellstorm Missile, a manually guided rocket which was present in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops III. But some completely new scorestreaks are also on show in the trailer, such as the ‘Strike Team’. From previous gameplay footage, this is two AI soldiers who drop into the map and take out enemies in a designated area. And finally, the trailer also shows off a four legged robot streak, the name of which is not revealed in the trailer, but is believed to be called the ‘Mantis’. Scorestreaks are back! Go on a streak to activate the Hellstorm Missile, Strike Team, RC-XD, and more coming to the #BlackOps4 MP Beta August 3rd on PS4. pic.twitter.com/n23fWOWAcl — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) July 27, 2018 The Mantis looks like a deadly streak, and is expected to be one of the more costly to earn. Fans will have to wait for the trailer to see how scoring from kills, assists (which now count as kills) and objective work counts towards streaks. The beta is first on PS4 on August 3-6, before returning on August 10 for both PS4 and Xbox One, and PC will also get a beta August 10-13. More: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 On Pace to Outsell Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2 According to Analysts – A beta for the battle royale mode, Blackout, is set for September, but no specific dates have been announced yet.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 S&D glitch allows players to defuse bomb after explosion – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 S&D glitch allows players to defuse bomb after explosion Fans of popular first person shooter series Call of Duty have found a new glitch on Black Ops 4 that could seriously affect the esports scene. Competitive Call of Duty is played across three game modes, Hardpoint, Control and fan favorite Search and Destroy, the mode in which this bug has been discovered. While this bug is found in Search and Destroy, it can only happen when the bomb has been planted, meaning that if a team can outslay their opponents to win the round, they’ll have no issues in the mode. However, in a video posted on Twitter by AceThugV37, it appears that players can sometimes defuse the bomb after it has already exploded. In this match, AceThug’s team had planted the bomb, with both teams having one player still alive each. The defending team were able to win the gunfight and begin defusing the bomb, however with just milliseconds left, the bomb exploded. While the explosives went off, the blast didn’t actually kill the player or stop the defuse, as they were able to finish defusing the bomb – although it still awarded the round win to the offensive team. HE DEFUSED AFTER IT BLEW UP HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN LMFAOOOOO pic.twitter.com/XYiGZ87maF — Ace (@AceThugV37) December 26, 2018 It’s not clear what causes this glitch, but Call of Duty fans and players will be hoping that it is patched in the future, as it can cause mass confusion amongst players as they try to figure out who actually won the round. The next Call of Duty esports event is the CWL Pro League Qualifier on January 16th, with 28 teams battling it out for their spot in the 2019 edition of the league, however there is currently no word from Treyarch regarding whether they will have this issue fixed by then.

  • Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Reveal ‘Biggest Ever’ Claims Activision, Huge Viewing Figures and Pre-Orders Beating Last Year – Dexerto

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Reveal ‘Biggest Ever’ Claims Activision, Huge Viewing Figures and Pre-Orders Beating Last Year Activision have announced that the community reveal event was the ‘biggest ever’ for CoD game reveal, breaking previous viewing records. In a blog post Wednesday May 23rd, Activision have stated that it was the ‘most watched’ game reveal in the franchise’s long history, an indication that the community is still well invested in coming CoD releases. Black Ops 4 will be the sixteenth main entry title in the CoD series (if including 2017’s ‘Modern Warfare Remastered’, a remaster of 2007′ CoD 4), and there has been concerns that the fan base, ever loyal, were becoming somewhat burned out. With much more competition in 2018 than there was say six or seven years ago, Call of Duty knows it needs to do much more to keep up with Fortnite, Overwatch and PUBG, as well as upcoming releases such as Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2. But, at least for now, it seems that the strength of the Black Ops sub-franchise is enough to keep fans intrigued, as the community reveal received the highest ever viewing figures in the series’ history. Last week’s highly-anticipated reveal of Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 delivered a record-setting debut with its livestream setting new marks for the most watched game reveal in Call of Duty history. The reveal livestream broke franchise records, including the most day one views as well as the highest concurrent viewers, while also blanketing social media as the #1 trending topic on Twitter globally during the broadcast. Views from the reveal event have already surpassed 80 million, including the livestream, official trailers and content creator videos. Of course, it is notable that Activision are including ‘content creator videos’ in these figures, given the number of popular creators that they flew out are likely to have inflated these numbers somewhat. The blog post also claims that “initial pre-orders are also strong through week one of reveal, and above last year” – so apparently, and unsurprisingly, it looks on course to perform better in sales than CoD: WWII. For more Call of Duty Black Ops 4, fans will likely have to wait until this year’s E3, where we will hopefully find out more about the Blackout Battle Royale mode, the highlight of the reveal for many, but the least of which was actually shown. • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 On Pace to Outsell Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2 According to Analysts – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 On Pace to Outsell Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2 According to Analysts Industry analysts have reported that the next entry in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 4, will outsell both of its October release rivals Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Gamers will be spoilt for choice in the final quarter of 2018, with a plethora of triple AAA titles releasing over September through December, with October the busiest month. Treyarch developed Black Ops 4 breaks the cycle of Call of Duty releases coming in early November, shifting forward to October 12 – before the release of the much anticipated Rockstar title Red Dead Redemption 2. And DICE’s Battlefield V will also release right in the middle of these two juggernauts, clearly not intimidated by the hectic gaming calendar. But according to analyst group Michael J. Olson and Yung Kim, Black Ops 4 will come out on top when it is all said and done, perhaps taking the advantage of the earliest release date of the three. The estimated average sales for Black Ops 4 is 21.5 million at launch, while Battlefield is expected to ship 16 million and Red Dead Redemption narrowly behind at 15.5 million. The majority of EA’s releases are sports games, with the exception being Battlefield V and Anthem (2019). Battlefield V is also shipping with a BR mode, although little details have been released at this time. One key difference between the two is that Battlefield will have free DLC, while Black Ops will require players to purchase the pass to access future DLC. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also at a disadvantage being console only upon release, with a PC version not yet announced, whereas both Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V will be available on both console and PC at launch. Of course, these figures are merely projections, and a lot can change in a few months. H/T: VGR

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Official Posters Seem to Confirm the Return of Specialists – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Official Posters Seem to Confirm the Return of Specialists A number of official Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 images and posters have been shared from inside the community reveal event and specialists certainly seem to be a feature. The community reveal event for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is due to take place on May 17th just two hours from the time that this article is being published. The lead up to the reveal has been full of the usual speculation, leaks, and rumors that come around every year prior to the release of a new Call of Duty title but Black Ops 4 might be the most talked about so far. Leaks have suggested everything from there being no single player story to there being a separate Battle Royale title which will release with the core game but Activision has not yet confirmed or denied anything. Staff from the popular Call of Duty news website Charlie INTEL are at the reveal event and already made some discoveries upon entry when they were given a number of official posters. Much of the artwork is similar to what we have already seen or suspected but there are a few aspects, like in the poster shown below, that hint heavily towards rumors of Specialists making a return being true (just check out the flamethrower). There is also a poster showing the cover art which was previously leaked and another which shows a person removing a mask with the caption “Mankind’s reckoning will be its salvation” which has some rather sinister connotations to it. To check out all of the images, check out Charlie INTEL’s article. Don’t forget to let us know about anything you’ve spotted that we may have missed.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 made a ridiculous amount of money in only 3 days – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 made a ridiculous amount of money in only 3 days Activision have announced that the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was one of the franchise’s most successful, setting a new record for revenue generated on its opening weekend, as well as the highest player counts. Following in the footsteps of the previous three Black Ops entries, which is by far the most successful sub-franchise of Call of Duty, the fourth in the series has not disappointed. While some fans may bemoan the exclusion of a campaign mode, it was more than made up for by the addition of Blackout – Call of Duty’s first foray into the battle royale game type. Blackout has already proven to be a major factor in the game’s commercial success, with Activision reporting earlier that PC sales were double that of last year’s CoD: WWII – and this is likely in large part thanks to the BR mode. More: New stats show Twitch viewership numbers of Black Ops 4 compared to Fortnite and League of Legends – But, Black Ops multiplayer is a stalwart in FPS shooters on console, and Treyarch continued their tradition of producing a polished (save for a few teething bugs and glitches) and smooth AAA title experience. All of this meant a big return. Activision has announced on October 18 that in its first three days, Black Ops 4 generated $500 million in revenue, and the total number of players increased from last year. They also say that player statistics have set a new franchise record for current generation consoles, stating: Through its first three days of release, Black Ops 4 set a new Call of Duty® franchise record for most combined players, average hours per player and total number of hours played, on current generation consoles. The combined number of Black Ops 4 players across its three modes of play during those first three days tops both last year’s Call of Duty: WWII, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (single player, multiplayer and zombies), respectively, for the same period of time. And it’s not just players playing either, but also watching. Activision claims that based on minutes watched, Black Ops 4 “delivered the highest level of viewership through launch weekend on Twitch in franchise history.” More: Treyarch announced that major changes to weapon balancing and tuning are coming to Black Ops 4 – Rob Kostich, EVP and GM of Call of Duty, said that Activision and Treyarch were “excited” about the game’s momentum, and have so much more planned. He says Black Ops 4 has “set new standards”, and shows how fun Blackout specifically is, to both play and watch. Black Ops 4 also beat the record for day one digital sales on the PlayStation store, beating the previous record which was also held by Call of Duty, for 2017’s WWII. Source: Business Wire

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beats Red Dead Redemption 2 for top selling PlayStation game in October PlayStation’s review of its top downloads for October 2018 revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has beaten out Rockstar’s latest title, Red Dead Redemption 2, for the number one spot. This development may come as a surprise, as Read Dead Redemption 2 saw the single largest opening weekend in entertainment history; the title actually beat out Black Ops 4’s $500 million revenue in retail sell-through during its first five days, weighing in at over $725 million. • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode Is Unlikely To Overthrow Fortnite According To Analyst – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode Is Unlikely To Overthrow Fortnite According To Analyst The newest edition to the Call of Duty franchise is scheduled to release with a new Battle Royale game mode. The focus of the new mode is to bring the fun of Battle Royale to the hardcore experience that Call of Duty games tend to offer, and will no doubt hope to steal away some of the large Fortnite player base. However, Andrew Uerkwitz, an analyst for Oppenheimer, tells Business Insider that the two games have different audiences. Read More: Treyarch Say They Only Started Making Battle Royale Mode BLACKOUT Last Year for CoD: Black Ops 4 – Despite the anticipation around Black Ops 4 Uerkwitz has been reassuring clients in the financial industry that the two games will not interfere with one another. “We believe [Black Ops 4] is not positioned to appeal to wider, younger players like Fortnite is. Instead, we believe this game is built to be the best-in-class hardcore [first person shooter].” While there may be some intersection of interest Uerkwitz does not believe the Black Ops 4 will take a large portion of the Fortnite audience. Fortnite has achieved its massive popularity because the game appeals to a broad spectrum of gamers. Many Fortnite players are of a younger age than that of the Call of Duty fanbase, thanks to its cartoonish style and lack of blood and gore. Call of Duty is focused on bringing a hardcore gaming experience to fans and that may limit the mass appeal the series receives. Uerkwitz believes the new Battle Royale feature in Black Ops 4 is more likely to capture market share from other games like PlayerUnkown’s Battleground and traditional first person shooters like Counter-Strike or Battlefield. Even with the Call of Duty development team focusing more attention on the PC platform Uerkwitz insists this will not have a large effect on the Fortnite fanbase. In any case, fans can always play both.

  • Do these balancing issues require a Call of Duty Black Ops 4 rework? – Dexerto

Do these balancing issues require a Call of Duty Black Ops 4 rework? Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been a commercial success, but nonetheless a hardcore contingent have called for the game to be reworked in a number of key areas. On the surface, Black Ops 4 is a great game. The majority of players have largely positive things to say about the game. The game performs to the high-level Call of Duty games have set for themselves throughout the years. A brand new battle royale mode in the form of Blackout has only heightened the game further. However, the majority of players are made up of casual players who don’t appreciate the intricacies of game balancing and are perhaps naive to micro-transactions. The hardcore, competitive players believe Black Ops 4 is currently flawed. Call of Duty World War 2 was reworked to eliminate these type of issues. This has resulted in a dedicated Call of Duty WW2 community meaning the game has retained a good player base. Black Ops 4 issues Although they might not be apparent to some, balancing issues in Black Ops 4 include specialists and gun attachments. There is also the issue of the aforementioned reserve system, although this, of course, doesn’t affect gameplay directly. Reddit user “BernieThrowaway” highlights these issues. Zero specialist Specialists are always controversial – no matter how fair they are some players will always believe they’re unbalanced. However, the argument behind Zero being unbalanced is certainly an easy one to make. She can steal all of your killstreaks or destroy them. What’s more, is this can be achieved by simply sitting in spawn. When looked at objectively this is overpowered. Strobe Light operator mod The strobe light operator mod made a return to Black Ops 4 multiplayer after featuring the Call of Duty Ghosts campaign. Its inclusion was met with anger by most CoD players. Essentially, when encountering the strobe light it breaks your controls. It is especially deadly on consoles where aim assist is required to counter the imprecise nature of the Playstation or Xbox controller. High Caliber II The high caliber II attachment is used on top of the original high caliber. Simply put the result is, for applicable guns, a much reduced time to kill (TTK). Unfortunately that reduction in TTK isn’t small but actually reduces it to the point that even when getting the first shot off you can frequently lose gunfights. It is reminiscent of the perk stopping power which hasn’t been seen in any real capacity since Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Time-based specialist weapons and equipment Another excellent point put forward by BernieThrowaway_ is regarding the nature of specialist weapons and equipment. Specialists were added to Call of Duty in an attempt to keep the game fresh with more variables. However, those added variables mean the game becomes harder to balance. Moreover, where the specialist weapons and equipment are time-based, there is no skill involved in obtaining them. Killstreaks change the course of any given match but this is arguably justified as you have to accrue enough points (or kills) to earn them. The current specialist system means any player can change the course of a game without contributing anything in terms of points. Reserve system Finally, the Redditor discusses the reserve system. They suggest cosmetic items don’t offer great value but that this is especially true with CoD Black Ops 4. The problem is items such as faint paint and stickers are unwanted by most of the Call of Duty community. CoD players know what they’re getting so it remains up to them whether they use them but the lack of value has left a poor taste in a lot of mouths. The concern is, with the issues that are currently prevalent, that Black Ops 4 won’t maintain any type of real player base when the next CoD game releases (expected to be Modern Warfare 4). Essentially, the current state of Black Ops 4 minimizes the skill gap between good and bad players. It makes sense to do this to some degree as it encourages a wider range of players to play, however, it leaves the most passionate CoD players frustrated.

Arsenal Sandstorm Interestingly, Arsenal Sandstorm was set to skip the PS4 exclusivity period and immediately become available on all platforms. However, Treyarch have announced that, due to an unknown reason, the introduction of Arsenal Sandstorm has been delayed. Today, we were unable to launch Arsenal Sandstorm across all platforms as we’d initially planned. We’re currently working to release the map as soon as possible and will provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience! — Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) April 17, 2019 The difference between the map, as the name suggests, was simply adding a sandstorm to the multiplayer map, Arsenal. Given the nature of the change, it appears it is a technical reason the new map can’t be added. Infected mutiplayer Infected is now available on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One and PC). The highly popular mode has a Zombie themed twist, fight to survive against the ever increasing number of infected players or join them to eliminate the remaining survivors. Deathmatch domination Deathmatch domination is exactly as it sounds – it combines both objectives of team deathmatch and domination. That means score is awarded for both killing enemies and capturing flags. It sounds like the best of both worlds for fans of the classic modes and makes you wonder how it has taken so long for somebody to think of the it! Deathmatch domination is available on PS4 now, and will become available on both Xbox One and PC at a later date. Alcatraz Changes are expected for Blackout’s second map although they haven’t come in the April 16 update. Treyarch usually produce quick turnarounds on such changes and therefore they can be expected soon. Among those changes, the following are expected: Slowing down of the final collapse – An option to bleed out (take the cowards way out) – Elsewhere, the interface for leaving the death box (stash) UX has also been confirmed by Treyarch Studio Design Director, David Vonderhaar. This will apply to both Blackout maps. When the change is implemented death boxes will now be closed using B (circle). • Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Advert Suggests Sony’s PlayStation 4 Deal Has Been Extended – Dexerto

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Advert Suggests Sony’s PlayStation 4 Deal Has Been Extended A new advert for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 4 release has essentially confirmed that the exclusivity deal with Sony and PlayStation will continue. Call of Duty was previously partnered with Microsoft and Xbox up until the release of Call of Duty Black Ops III in 2015, when the deal switched. Of course Call of Duty games are released on both consoles and PC, however, the deal is still very meaningful for both casual fans and Call of Duty esports. For the casual fan, it means (at least in previous years) that they will not only get special incentives and extra content on the PlayStation, but DLC map packs are also released a 30 days earlier. And the deal is very crucial for competitive Call of Duty, as it determines which consoles all major, and most minor, events are played on. There has been complaints about PlayStation in this regard, due to the bluetooth connectivity issues of controllers, which can cause latency in busy event venues. However, it looks like PlayStation fans can rest easy, as the deal which was reported to last only three years, has been extended for Black Ops 4. The end of a recent promotional trailer advertising the upcoming release, shows a PlayStation 4 ad at the end. Get a first look at #BlackOps4. Tune in to the livestream event on May 17. Learn more: — Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) May 14, 2018 It is also significant pre-release, as in previous years PlayStation players have been given access to the private and open betas earlier than their Xbox One counterparts. It isn’t possible to say with 100% certainty that this advertisement confirms the deal is continuing, and that announcement may come at the community reveal event on May 17th, or perhaps later at E3 in June. Make sure you don’t miss out on the community reveal event, where the fans will get their first glimpse of gameplay from the fourth Black Ops. You can watch right here, starting at 10am PDT on May 17th.

  • Call of Duty becomes Battlefield with 100+ player Ground War – details and more – Dexerto

Call of Duty becomes Battlefield with 100+ player Ground War – details and more ActivisionCall of Duty Modern Warfare is pulling out all the stops with a new game mode called Ground War in which over 100 players can be in on the action – something that has previously been more in-line with the Battlefield series. Gamespot got a hands-on preview of the multiplayer on a smaller scale with 20 players on each time. They said the mode takes advantage of the series’ new approach to map design with an emphasis on freestanding buildings and power positions. In order to win, teams had to hold down key areas of the map with soldiers in high places. Killstreaks were going off all the time with vehicles crushing infantry while UAVs and helicopters took over the skies. While the 20-player format wasn’t “overwhelming”, the site does, however, wonder how big maps will have to be to facilitate so much chaos with 100 players on the battlefield. Read More: Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer and cross-play beta dates revealed Gamespot does believe there will be changes to the mode going forward, so it’s possible that Killstreaks will be toned down before the open beta in September and when the game ships in October. Massive team-based battleground game modes are nothing new. The Battlefield series and Star Wars Battlefront have both had modes in which a large amount of players can duke in out on land and air. In 2010, a PlayStation 3 exclusive first-person shooter called M.A.G was released which boasted a total player count of 256 – a number that set a world record. Its servers were shut down in 2014. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare beta begins exclusively on PS4 September 12-13 and then the open beta kicks September 14-16. The crossplay testing beta starts September 19 and runs until the 20 on PC and Xbox One; Open Beta, PlayStation 4. The open beta for crossplay will run from September 21-23. Call of Duty Modern Warfare is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2019.

  • Will Call of Duty veer towards battle royale ahead of multiplayer going forward? – Dexerto

Will Call of Duty veer towards battle royale ahead of multiplayer going forward? Over the past few years, the battle royale genre has emerged as one of the most popular game types, but will traditional multiplayer games such as Call of Duty deviate away from the multiplayer model and prioritize battle royale modes? Call of Duty is multiplayer The Call of Duty series is synonymous with the online multiplayer concept. Team based FPS, in a small to medium sized map, with unlimited respawns is essentially what Call of Duty is to most gamers. Consequently, it is hard to imagine a time where it won’t have that. In the short term, it seems unthinkable that a Call of Duty game would completely neglect the mode that made it the mammoth title that it is today. Call of Duty is one of the biggest game franchises ever… Modern Warfare 4 all but confirmed With Modern Warfare 4 almost confirmed for COD’s next release, multiplayer will almost certainly come with it. MW4 follows on from some of the most iconic Call of Duty games to date, within the Modern Warfare series. A Modern Warfare 4 title isn’t officially confirmed yet, but there are still additional rumors circulating that the COD 2019 title will actually be multiplayer only, as opposed to offering battle royale as well. This would make some sense, given that it’s a new Modern Warfare game. This MW4 menu logo has been making the rounds in COD forums… Additionally, there are even rumors that MW2 remastered and MW3 remastered will release as part of MW4. The rumors even suggest that the two classics will release in the months after MW4 is initially released in order to not split the player base. Battle royale Call of Duty has delved into the battle royale genre just once. This, of course, came within Call of Duty’s latest game, Black Ops 4, in the form of Blackout. It has inherited all things Call of Duty, namely the signature gun play, but has still divided opinion. Many consider it the best battle royale game to date because of the smoothness of play, yet others still prefer battle royale stalwarts such as Fortnite and PUBG. Despite this division, it’s very likely Call of Duty will make another. With a new generation of consoles just around the corner, the prospect of another Call of Duty battle royale mode is exciting. There’s no doubt that gaming is evolving away from smaller team based games on limited maps and embracing the excitement of a 100+ man free for all. Therefore, yes, we can expect Call of Duty to deviate away from multiplayer to battle royale. Multiplayer will likely always be a part of Call of Duty games, and rightly so, but there will be a shift towards the new phenomenon of battle royale. However, with the aforementioned Modern Warfare 4, it might not happen just yet…

  • Call of Duty bans 14,000 Cheaters in Warzone and MW2 – Dexerto

Call of Duty bans 14,000 Cheaters in Warzone and MW2 YOUTUBEOver 14,000 accounts were officially banned by Activision for cheating and hacking in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2. Call of Duty has been at war against cheaters for over a decade, and in 2021 Activision aimed to bring the fight directly to the hackers by releasing its purpose-built ‘RICOCHET’ anti-cheat system. The system has seen various iterations over the years, such as improving its cheat detection, wrongful players are unable to deal damage or see hallucinations and hardware bans for repeat offenders. Not only has the anti-cheat initiative been used to target offending players, but Activision has also struck the root cause of the cheat makers themselves. Leading service EngineOwning was charged $3 million in damages to Activision in October 2022. Public large-scale cases such as these have proved to drastically reduce the threat by striking the cheaters at the core and setting an example for current and future hackers. In the latest banishing wave, over 14,000 accounts have been banned due to the outcome of their investigations into hacking software developers. Many sources believe this to be related to accounts using popular cheating services of EngineOwning and InterWebz due to users not being able to log in. Why have the bans been carried out now? Activision has been gearing up for the upcoming Season 5 update for both the main Modern Warfare II game as well as Warzone 2 when it launches on August 2, 2023. Due to the uproar in the community still revolving around hackers in Call of Duty, it is key for the developers to ensure that the integrity of the game is preserved and ready for the influx of players upon release. Season 5 will be dropping with a fresh new wave of content, which includes maps, weapons, game modes, and operators for both normal multiplayer and Warzone. For the full rundown of everything coming in Season 5, check out the full roadmap by following the link.

  • Call of Duty: Attach explains why FaZe Clan dropped Methodz for Cellium – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Attach explains why FaZe Clan dropped Methodz for Cellium FaZe Clan Call of Duty star Dillon ‘Attach’ Price has revealed why the team decided to make a roster change ahead of the CWL Pro League Qualifiers in January. The popular organization announced on Saturday, December 22 that they had officially transferred Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni to G2 Esports and acquired McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel to take his place on the roster. Cellium turned 18 on Monday, December 24, meaning he is now eligible to compete in the CWL Pro League, and has made a name for himself for his incredible talent in online competition with eUnited’s Cadet team. Price revealed that once it was confirmed that Call of Duty would be transitioning to 5v5 for the Black Ops 4 season, the squad decided that they would remain in the same roles they had been playing in World War 2, and would attempt to pick up an aggressive assault rifle player to complement their styles, eventually settling on Methodz. “With Methodz, everything felt clunky and rough,” stated Attach. “Things were not fluid, we were on two different pages. He’s a main AR, but he’s super slow. He was posting up and holding lanes, and for our team the pacing was off.” “Communication was off between our team too. It felt very weird in the game. You just know when something feels off. It felt like we would play every day, talk about the things we were doing wrong but then not fix them – it’s not Methodz’s fault, it was everybody on the team.” Price is looking forward to playing with FaZe’s new lineup, especially Cellium, posting on Twitter that he was “excited to be teaming with this young animal,” and revealed that practice had been going well. Excited to be teaming with this young animal @Cellium, So much talent and potential. Loving the way we’ve been progressing as a team so far. Welcome to the squad #FaZeUp — FaZe Attach (@Attach) December 22, 2018 Cellium won’t have to wait long to get his first taste of pro competition in a LAN environment, as FaZe Clan will take part in the CWL Pro League Qualifier on January 16 at the MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

  • Call of Duty anti-cheat update makes hackers see “hallucinations” – Dexerto

Call of Duty anti-cheat update makes hackers see “hallucinations” ActivisionActivision has unveiled a new update to its Ricochet anti-cheat that will make hackers start hallucinating and seeing players who aren’t really there. Call of Duty cheaters have long been a big problem in Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare 2, but the developers have come up with interesting ways to fight back. Instead of just banning suspected cheaters outright, the devs have done things to mess with those abusing aimbots and wall hacks by flipping the script and trying to ruin the game for them, such as with a “weapon disarm” feature. Now, they’re taking things a step further with a unique new addition to Richochet that could be ripped right from a horror game. Enter: Hallucinations. New CoD anti-cheat features makes hackers start hallucinating Announced in a blog post, the new Hallucinations update is designed to “disorient” cheaters and make them see things that aren’t really there. Hallucinations are basically copies of real-life players and mimic movements to try to trick cheaters into believing an actual opponent is in front of them. According to the devs, “Hallucinations also trigger the same information that cheaters would have access to using nefarious tools, revealing unique data to make them appear legitimate.” The best part about this feature is the Hallucinations are only visible to suspected cheaters and aimbots can’t tell the difference between them and real players. As such, if the hackers engage with the Hallucinations, they’re basically outing themselves. Additionally, the team is taking action against malicious reporting to stop players from spam reporting legitimate players with false accusations. New notifications will also alert players if their reports are being investigated or if action is being taken. Hopefully, these changes will make life a lot more difficult for cheaters and deal a serious blow to those who resort to paying to cheat in video games.

  • Call of Duty and Fallout crossover rumored for Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 – Dexerto

Call of Duty and Fallout crossover rumored for Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Activision & BethesdaSome new datamined files from Modern Warfare 3 indicate that a crossover between Call of Duty and Fallout may be coming soon. Call of Duty and Fallout are both experiencing renewed excitement from audiences, thanks to the former’s Season 3 Reloaded update and the latter’s new show on Amazon. It seems both are looking to continue their momentum as some datamined files from Modern Warfare 3 suggest that a collaboration between the two is in the works. A screenshot of the datamined files has spread across social media, hinting at the possibility of this supposed crossover event happening in Season 4. Along with Fallout, the files point to Gundam and The Crow getting Call of Duty collaborations, as well. What this leaked Call of Duty and Fallout crossover may entail is not confirmed. It could range from a few cosmetic bundles or an entirely new game mode. Of course, Call of Duty is no stranger to hosting collaborations with pop culture’s biggest properties; just recently, the game added new cosmetics from Godzilla x Kong to MW3 and Warzone. It would make sense for the COD and Fallout to work together, as not only do both have a lot of hype right now but they’re also owned by Microsoft. Recent rumors suggest the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase will finally mark the arrival of Call of Duty on Game Pass, so it would make sense to use this collaboration as a way to build on that. Plus, Call of Duty’s current Season 3 ends on May 28, which is right before the Showcase is scheduled. The timing would work to have Season 4 bring Fallout into the fold. If the crossover is real, it remains to be seen how Microsoft and Activision will manage the finer details. But it certainly looks like Call of Duty and Fallout fans have something to look forward to.

  • Up-and-coming Call of Duty amateur “worldstars” top pros TJHaLy and FormaL – Dexerto

Up-and-coming Call of Duty amateur “worldstars” top pros TJHaLy and FormaL It’s not everyday that professional Call of Duty players will get embarrassed by an amateur, but that was the case involving OpTic Gaming’s Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly and Luminosity’s Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper. The two established pro players, both of whom are considered to be among the best in the game, found themselves on the wrong end of a slick play made by top amateur player Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal. The moment came in a competitive match being played between iLLeY’s team, which featured Midnight’s Rasim ‘Blazt’ Ogresevic and FaZe Clan’s McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel, and the team of pros that also included LG’s John. With his team trailing 4-5 in a game of Search and Destroy on Payload, iLLeY found himself last alive against TJ and FormaL, who had him slightly cornered near the B-bomb. However, iLLeY was able to wiggle himself out by first shooting over the bomb to weaken TJ, then shoot again to eliminate him, before expertly sliding around the bomb to deliver a fatal shoot/punch combo at FormaL to win the round. Blazt’s reaction pretty much mirrored that of everyone else who either watched the sequence unfold live or later on Reddit, as most fans were left speechless at how impressive iLLeY’s movement and shooting accuracy was in such a tough moment. Even the chat on Blazt’s Twitch channel, where the clip was taken from, is filled with viewers expressing their astonishment any way they could. The play was equally important in the grand scheme of the match, as it tied the S&D at five rounds apiece, and iLLeY’s team ended winning the eleventh round to seal the victory. Who is iLLeY? Despite still being ineligible to play in the CWL due to being under the age of 18, iLLeY is considered to be one of the best competitive Call of Duty players, going back all the way to the days of Black Ops 3. He is the last remaining member of eUnited’s Cadet program, having joined the org back in 2017, and is thought of as one of the last outstanding talents from the generation that produced eUnited pro Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr and Cellium, both of whom were also part of that original Cadet squad. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Call of Duty pros – Many believe iLLeY to be the next big thing in CoD esports, and he will be eligible to compete in the next CWL season once he turns 18 on October 20.

  • Call of Duty 4 Easter Egg discovered in Modern Warfare – Dexerto

Call of Duty 4 Easter Egg discovered in Modern Warfare A discreet nod towards Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been found in the latest game in the franchise by a sharp-eyed fan. Modern Warfare came out in 2019 to positive reviews, and is the latest game in the expansive FPS franchise. Call of Duty 4 was the first Modern Warfare game in the series, coming out in 2007, and the first CoD game to move away from the franchise’s original World War 2 setting. Now, Reddit user raflolio has discovered an Easter Egg that’s a nod to the game that started the series in the latest Modern Warfare. Raflolio pointed out in a post to the Modern Warfare subreddit that the coordinates “51°24’00.0″N 30°04’00.0″E” could be found etched into the stock of the EBR-14 Marksman’s Rifle. If you follow the coordinates on a map, they take you to the Pripyat Amusement Park, which is a part of the “All Ghillied Up” mission from Call of Duty 4. Video courtesy of AFGuidesHD on YouTube: “All Ghillied Up” has players sneak through the ruins of Pripyat, Ukraine, in the area around the Chernobyl nuclear site on the hunt to assassinate Imran Zakhaev – the main antagonist in CoD 4. It’s often considered to be one of the best campaign missions in any Call of Duty game, partly due to it’s openness and the number of different options players have when moving through it. The coordinates only seem to come on one certain skin for the weapon though, and raflolio confirmed that the only way to unlock it is by buying “The Unseen” bundle in the store for 1400 Cod Points. “All Ghillied Up” was also included in Modern Warfare: Remastered from 2016, which just goes to show Activision has no problem playing up nostalgia from past games – but players don’t seem to mind. It took several months for users to find this hidden CoD 4 Easter Egg, anyhow, so it will be interesting to see what other Call of Duty-related players find in the future.

  • Call of Duty 2025 will be a futuristic Black Ops 2 sequel according to insider report – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2025 will be a futuristic Black Ops 2 sequel according to insider report MicrosoftCall of Duty 2025 is set to be a sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2, according to a new report offering details on the game’s campaign and multiplayer. With a new release every year, Call of Duty is always a hot topic in the gaming rumor mill to predict the next entry. From setting to what sub-series the game is set in, there is always a conversation going on about what the next entry will bring. Just this past July, details for 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 leaked to the public to spark raging debate and speculation. Now, it’s more than just the next game coming up, as details about the 2025 entry in the franchise have been revealed. Call of Duty 2025 is going to be a sequel to Black Ops 2 According to Insider Gaming, the game is going to be set in 2030 and will be a direct sequel to the Black Ops 2 from 2012. As a result, characters from that game are expected to make a return in the game’s single player campaign. The game is being developed under the codename, “Saturn”, and is set to take the series back into the future. It would not be surprising if this were the case, as Black Ops 2 is frequently referred to as one of the best entries in the series. Further, there are details about the multiplayer mode of the game as well, with the maps from Black Ops 2 being remastered for it, along with a batch of original maps as well. The original plan was for it to just have the Black Ops 2 maps at launch, but it appears the plans have changed thanks to the fan criticism over Modern Warfare 3 launching with only old maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). There will also be a reworked movement system, a return to the “Pick 10” system in gun customization, and more Zombies content. If these details hold to be true, then this will follow next year’s Call of Duty, which is rumored to be called Black Ops Gulf War. As of now, it is unclear if Call of Duty 2025 will have a connection to this game, but they will reportedly both share the Black Ops moniker.

  • Call of Duty 2025: Early reports tease Black Ops 2 sequel, future setting, more – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2025: Early reports tease Black Ops 2 sequel, future setting, more ActivisionAlthough Call of Duty 2025 is clearly a ways off, early details have nonetheless begun to slip through the cracks well ahead of schedule. From initial reports on the game’s setting, to the earliest multiplayer details, here’s everything we know thus far about CoD 2025. Like clockwork Activision drops a new Call of Duty game each and every year. The annualized FPS series has become a cultural juggernaut as a result, with each new installment selling millions of units without fail. And although Modern Warfare 3 has only just come into the spotlight, as always, avid fans are eager to know what comes next. CoD 2024 is shaping up to be a return to form for Treyarch, and now, the earliest details on CoD 2025 have begun to emerge online. So well in advance of any official reveal, here’s what we know about CoD 2025 from insider reports. Contents: CoD 2025: Release window details – CoD 2025: Platforms – CoD 2025: Developers – CoD 2025: Setting – CoD 2025: Early gameplay reports – Call of Duty 2025: Release window details As it’s still extremely early days yet, there’s currently no exact release date locked in for Call of Duty’s 2025 release. However, the series has followed the same pattern for quite some time now, so we can all but guarantee that the 2025 installment will hit store shelves at some stage across October or November that year. 15 CoD titles have been released in November of their given year, while the other five games landed in October. There have been no outliers to this rule, making it the safest bet possible for 2025’s launch. What platforms will Call of Duty 2025 release on? For the time being, no specific details have been nailed down as to CoD 2025’s targeted platforms. Though we can certainly make some predictions based on recent releases. Despite Microsoft’s historic acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the company has pledged to continue releasing new CoD games across a wide range of platforms, rather than make them exclusive to Xbox. Not only that, but Microsoft has even signed a decade-long deal with Nintendo, a move that’s set to see CoD games appear on their hardware for the first time in just as long. As a result, we fully expect to see CoD 2025 appear on Xbox Series S | X, PC, PlayStation 5, and most likely on Nintendo hardware as well. Whether devs will continue support for last-gen hardware through until 2025, however, remains to be seen. Do we know which Activision studio is developing Call of Duty 2025? There’s currently no telling which CoD studio is leading the charge for the 2025 installment, though we do have some early intel to run with. As initial reports tied Treyarch’s name to CoD 2024, they certainly have to be out of the running. And according to Insider Gaming, Infinity Ward is already “well into development” on the next Modern Warfare title. Thus, that leaves just Sledgehammer Games as a core studio to steer the ship on CoD 2025. However, it’s worth noting almost all dev teams under the Activision umbrella serve to support the CoD behemoth in some way. As a result, it’s likely a wide range of teams are all chipping in, including Toys For Bob, Beenox, High Moon Studios, and plenty more. Call of Duty 2025: Reported near-future setting as Black Ops 2 sequel Stemming from Insider Gaming’s 2023 report, they revealed what are believed to be the very first details on CoD’s 2025 iteration. Headlining the news was the return to a futuristic setting, at least somewhat futuristic. “Call of Duty 2025 is slated to be set in the very slight future, around 2030,” the report claimed. Therefore, while not taking place in present day, it’s not quite a leap forward like Advanced of Infinite Warfare with jetpacks and highly advanced weaponry. Should these reports hold true, it’ll mark the first time the CoD franchise has looked ahead since 2018’s Black Ops 4. Allegedly set to be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2’s storyline, the game could mark the return of “fan-favorite protagonists,” the report added. Call of Duty 2025: Reported gameplay details CoD 2025 reportedly set to include remastered Black Ops 2 maps As a follow-up to Black Ops 2, CoD 2025 is reportedly set to feature a number of iconic multiplayer maps from the original release. While we’ve seen the likes of Raid and Express return in various ways over the years, this could mark the first time several classics make their way back to the spotlight. Though unlike 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, a game that launched exclusively with remade maps, CoD 2025 could include a mix. “The current plan is to launch with new maps and remastered maps in conjunction,” Insider Gaming reported. This aligns with earlier claims from CoD insider BobNetwork who also claimed CoD 2025 will function much like MW3 2023, though just with Black Ops 2 maps being remastered. Pick 10 Create-A-Class system reportedly back in effect for CoD 2025 While it’s still extremely early and plans can definitely change during development, one early detail claimed CoD’s popular Pick 10 system could be making a comeback. Rather than selecting all sorts of attachments, perks, equipment, and the like, the Pick 10 system limited you to just that, 10 points. Players would have to spend these 10 points picking pieces of equipment, building out weapons with multiple attachments, selecting perks, or balancing the lot. It added a great degree of strategy to the mix, allowing for more niche builds to thrive. If the earliest rumblings hold true, this familiar system could be back in play for CoD 2025. Round-based Zombies reportedly back for CoD 2025 Zombies will also be included in CoD 2025, should the Insider Gaming report hold true. While Treyarch is leading the charge on a true round-based comeback set for CoD 2024, the following year is allegedly set to follow suit with more round-based action. While recent years have veered from the path, with the likes of Vanguard and Modern Warfare 3 opting for non-traditional Zombies experiences instead, it appears CoD fans might be in store for multiple years of classic Zombies fun once again. CoD 2025 may adopt an open-world campaign According to Insider Gaming, CoD 2025 may see a huge shift in its campaign approach by going open world. This comes hot off the heels of Insider Gaming reporting that Black Ops Gulf War will do the same. If true, CoD 2025 will see players embarking on journeys through various biomes/locations, although the full scope of how open world it’ll be has yet to be determined. It’s reported the switch to an open-world structure is to “streamline development.” For now, that’s the rundown of everything we know currently about CoD 2025. Though as always, it’s worth taking this intel with a heaping serve of salt until confirmed by developers. Game development is always tumultuous with plans changing along the way, so this information may become outdated before long. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated here with all the latest developments on the road to CoD 2025’s release.

  • Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Release date, beta, zombies, campaign & more – Dexerto

Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Release date, beta, zombies, campaign & more Activision BlizzardBlack Ops 6 is the next Call of Duty title, launching in 2024. With the game announced, a release date in the calendar, and more details confirmed, here’s what we know about the game so far. It’s been four years since Treyarch’s last mainline Call of Duty entry, Black Ops Cold War. While they’ve helped the other developers bring Zombies and Ranked Play to their respective games, Treyarch have become the first COD dev team to be given four years to work on their title. That’s given them time to develop an entirely new COD experience with some huge changes for the franchise. Here are the details. Black Ops 6 Release Date Black Ops 6 will release on October 25, 2024. The release date was rumored to be sometime in November according to prior leaks, but it’s ultimately landing at the tail end of October, as announced during the Black Ops 6 Direct earlier in June 2024. Black Ops 6 Early Access Beta & Open Beta Black Ops 6 indeed has an Early Access and Open Beta period incoming across all platforms. The dates are as follows: Preorder Early Access (All platforms): August 30 – September 3 – Open Beta (All Platforms): September 6 – September 9 – This will be the first opportunity for players to test out a limited version of the game with a selection of multiplayer maps and modes to choose from. Alternatively, if you are a Game Pass subscriber, you will get beta access without having to pre-order the game. Black Ops 6 platforms Black Ops 6 will release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. While Microsoft signed a deal with Nintendo in 2022 to bring future COD titles to their hardware, there has not been any word on Black Ops 6 on Nintendo Switch. Setting and time period Black Ops 6 is set in the Gulf War, marking a first for the Call of Duty franchise. Activision has explored WW2, modern military combat, and even the distant future, but Black Ops 6 will be the first COD game to cover this conflict. The Gulf War started in 1990 and lasted a year, between Iraq and a 42-country coalition led by the United States. The main countries involved were the USA, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait. This means you can expect a global selection of multiplayer and Warzone maps, though they will likely be set primarily in the Middle East. Major changes: Omnimovement and perk categories Treyarch have made two significant changes in Black Ops 6. The biggest is the introduction of omnidirectional movement, or simply omnimovement, that will completely switch up how players traverse the maps, both in multiplayer and battle royale. Omnimovement allows players to sprint and dive in any direction, along with improvements to vaulting and traversing the map, and even shoot while diving. For the players that excelled in the slide cancel era with that movement skill gap, omnimovement may just increase that gap even further. Not only that, but Treyarch are bringing back traditional perks, albeit with a slight twist, as they come under one of three categories: Enforcer, Recon, and Strategist. Taking three perks in the same category will reward you with a boost, almost like an additional perk, incentivizing players to go for different playstyles without restricting them to any one set of perks per slot. Round-based Zombies returns Round-based Zombies has been confirmed to be returning in Black Ops 6, giving players what they’ve been clamoring for for four years. It will arrive on October 25 with two maps, Terminus and Liberty Falls, and it will also continue the Dark Aether narrative that started in Cold War. It is worth noting that even though round-based zombies will make a return, this does not mean that will be the only version available. As seen in Black Ops Cold War, round-based and open world can co-exist, and Treyarch could very well look to appeal to fans of both formats. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 on PS5, PS4, Xbox S|X, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Call of Duty 2023 leak reveals “fully-fledged” title and release dates – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2023 leak reveals “fully-fledged” title and release dates ActivisionDespite rumors of Modern Warfare 2 receiving a two-year life cycle, Insider Gaming revealed Call of Duty 2023 as a “fully-fledged” title. On February 6, in an earnings call, Activision announced “the next full annual premium release in the blockbuster series” is coming in 2023. Conflicting reports made it difficult to tell if the “premium release” meant a full game or a paid expansion. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported, “this fall’s title would be an expansion to Modern Warfare 2 from Sledgehammer Games.” Schrier’s findings supported a leak from TheGhostofHope, who claimed a “greatest hits map pack” would be coming to Modern Warfare 2 in 2023 as a paid expansion. The DLC would feature classic maps from Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer’s catalog, celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary. On the other hand, Insider Gaming reporter Tom Henderson leaked Call of Duty 2023 will be a complete game instead of premium DLC. Call of Duty 2023 shifts plans On February 9, Henderson claimed, “Insider Gaming understands that the project changed direction to become a full premium standalone release planned for 2023.” As for gameplay details, Henderson added, “the game will be heavily connected to the Modern Warfare series. If recent Call of Duty titles are to go by, though, expect a lot of remastered maps for multiplayer.” CharlieINTEL backed up Insider Gaming’s leak by confirming, “Insider-Gaming’s report corroborates what we’ve heard in that there was a shift from doing just a year 2 “expansion” to a “full premium” game for 2023.” As reported by Schreier, Henderson expects the game to be developed by Sledgehammer Games. Call of Duty 2023 release dates leaked Insider Gaming revealed the Call of Duty 2023’s release dates. Beta weekend 1 (PS4/PS5) – October 6, 2023 – October 10, 2023 – Beta weekend 2 (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – October 12, 2023 – October 16, 2023 – Campaign Early Access (PS4/PS5) – November 2, 2023 – Full Release (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 10, 2023 – Activision has not confirmed any of the information, so all leaks must be taken with a pinch of salt. We will provide an update when we learn more about Call of Duty’s plans in 2023.

  • Call of Duty 2023: Early leaks, Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, more – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2023: Early leaks, Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, more ActivisionThere’s been a lot of talk about Call of Duty 2023 of late, with Activision doubling down on their commitment to a “full annual premium release” for later in the year. But what do we know about CoD 2023 and what does it mean for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0? Where Call of Duty would previously stick to an annual release cycle – with a new title dropping every fall – it is no longer that simple. The runaway success of the Warzone battle royale(s) has somewhat clouded the series’ future, as have recent developments in the CoD community. Here’s what we know about Call of Duty 2023. Will there be a new CoD in 2023? Yes. We initially expected Modern Warfare 2 to have a two-year life cycle. We then expected a Treyarch-led CoD in 2024, which would also have a two-year cycle. However, there’s been confusion over a 2023 release. On February 6, Activision doubled down, promising a “full annual premium release” in 2023. In other words, a full installment as we’ve become accustomed to. There was again pushback though. Jason Schreier, one of the figures who previously stated the 2023 content would be an expansion of MW2, said the same again. “[It’s] not unfeasible to add content to something that started off as an expansion and sell it for $60-70,” he said. “Either way the point is that it’s a continuation of MW2.” Shortly after the original publication of this article, leaks from InsiderGaming pointed to a 2023 instalment being developed by Sledgehammer Games. It will reportedly be set in the same universe as MW2 and was originally planned as an ‘expansion’, before being made into a full annual release by Activision. That certainly explains why insiders reported it would be another year of MW2 and why Activision are keen to market it as a new CoD instalment. The success of Modern Warfare 2 may make its setting more likely, with it blowing Vanguard’s lackluster performance out of the water already. Who will develop CoD 2023? It’s not confirmed, but it looks like Sledgehammer Games. Rumors from Jason Schreier and InsiderGaming both state SHG will take the lead on CoD 2023, even if it’s an expansion of MW2. It’s reported that Treyarch were originally meant to lead CoD 2023 but their instalment was pushed back to 2024. Hence, SHG have been drafted in to oversee the title. It will be their first CoD since Vanguard. We still expect a Treyarch-developed CoD title down the line, but the insistence that it’s linked to MW2 makes their involvement as a lead studio a lot less likely. Do we have release dates? None that are official. We do have unofficial and leaked dates, which claim that CoD 2023 will have a Beta ahead of its launch. They are when we expected – in fall 2023: Beta weekend 1 (PS4/PS5) – October 6, 2023 – October 10, 2023 – Beta weekend 2 (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – October 12, 2023 – October 16, 2023 – Campaign Early Access (PS4/PS5) – November 2, 2023 – Full Release (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 10, 2023 – What does it mean for Warzone 2? Naturally, exact details aren’t clear, but we expect it to have a limited impact on the battle royale. As we saw with the first, Warzone 2 will likely span multiple installments, incorporating content from each. We’ve had a leak that a brand new Treyarch-developed WZ2 map will drop when they release CoD 2024. That lends more weight to the suggestions that CoD 2023 won’t see them have major involvement. When will we know more? Presumably, more leaks and rumors will soon begin to stack up ahead of a full reveal. This usually takes place during the preceding spring and summer, so we shouldn’t be too far from getting at least a few more details. It’s worth taking all leaked details with a pinch of salt though. Much can change in the development process, assuming the leaks were accurate originally. In short, nothing is confirmed until Activision announce it.

Infinity Ward shared the official logo for its upcoming release, confirming the title of Modern Warfare 2 in the process. Given the title is a direct sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, the logo bears resemblance to the previous ‘MW’ style. This time around, to help distinguish from the 2009 game with the same name, roman numerals feature in the logo, rather than the standard ‘2.’ Modern Warfare 2 editions & how to pre-order Modern Warfare 2 is set to launch with two separate editions. Call of Duty 2022: Modern Warfare 2 campaign details As a direct follow-up to Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare 2 focuses on the now-assembled Task Force 141 comprised of Price, John ‘Soap’ MacTavish, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, and Kate Laswell. Throughout the single-player experience, we’ll be jumping into the shoes of these different characters as they take the fight around the world. From the first explosive mission as Soap to a more stealthy second level as Gaz, we’re sure to go through a range of distinct encounters. We also know to expect more advanced vehicular combat than anything seen thus far in the franchise. Whether it’s repairing damaged trucks or climbing out onto the roof of a car, gameplay is set to be more chaotic than ever. Moreover, in a first for the series, players will be able to access the full Modern Warfare 2 campaign a week out from the game’s official launch. Just by pre-ordering digitally on any given platform, you can experience the new narrative from October 22 and blitz through the story in no time. While not yet official, it also appears fans can expect more from the single-player experience over time. Beyond the full campaign at launch, it seems DLC will look to further expand the narrative post-launch, though the scope of this content remains to be seen. We could get anything from a handful of bonus missions to another full-fledged story in 2023. Will there be a Zombies mode in Modern Warfare 2? Quickly putting an end to any speculation, Infinity Ward devs have made clear that Modern Warfare 2 will not feature a Zombies component. “There will be no Zombies,” devs confirmed in conversation with VentureBeat. From traditional round-based modes to the controversial Der Anfang experience in Vanguard, Zombies fans have run the gamut in recent years. Though expectations should certainly be kept in check for now. We may not hear about anything on the CoD Zombies front until the reported standalone project rears its head in late 2023. Call of Duty 2022: Modern Warfare 2 modes The first new mode confirmed for Modern Warfare 2 is described an evolution of the Gunfight playlist referred to as Knockout. This new spin on the formula has teams fighting without respawns in a round-based mode. The aim of the game is to either eliminate your opponents in each round, or control a package for 60 seconds in total. Moreover, a previously leaked Rainbow Six Siege-inspired mode is also official. Known as Prisoner Rescue, this unique mode boasts a more tactical approach to round-based combat. Rather than going in guns blazing, teams first have to strategize around two hostages on the map. Players have access to new gadgets, traps, and can even use cameras to scout the opposition. The Tarkov style mode, known as DMZ (Demilitarized zone), was confirmed at Call of Duty Next. CoD leaker Tom Henderson said that DMZ has “been in some form of development since early 2018 (so technically 4.5 years by the time it releases)”, making it one of the most ambitious modes to coincide with a new installment. With a 20-35 player count, this new Call of Duty project takes place on Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map. According to rumors, players will be tasked with looting up and working their way through various smaller environments before seeking extraction. DMZ supposedly has four unique maps in development. A key point noted by prominent insider ‘TheGhostOfHope’ is that these maps will be exclusive to the DMZ mode. Therefore, don’t expect to see them in Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer component. “All of these maps differ considerably in design. Some are catered for open-world, others are more concentrated and dense,” the insider claimed. Items earned or purchased through the DMZ mode or marketplace can then be used “across multiplayer and eventually Warzone 2,” early leaks claim. DMZ launches alongside Warzone 2 on November 16. Meaning Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and this third offering all release within a few weeks of each other. Call of Duty 2022: Modern Warfare 2 maps In this year’s new CoD entry, maps are being divided into separate categories. Core Maps are typical 6v6 designs, while Battle Maps are larger spaces fit for the likes of Ground War. You can take a full look at every confirmed map right here. All 18 POIs for Warzone 2’s new map Al Mazrah were revealed at Call of Duty Next. The long-rumored inclusion of original Modern Warfare 2 and other classic CoD maps came to fruition. Here are all the classic maps in Warzone 2. Quarry- Modern Warfare 2 – Highrise- Modern Warfare 2 – Observatory- Modern Warfare 3 – Showdown- CoD 4 – Terminal- Modern Warfare 2 – Infinity Ward gave us our first in-depth look at multiplayer during CoD Next. We officially know details about four core 6v6 maps and two battle maps. A supposed list of map names made waves online. 28 codenames in total were made public. Furthermore, various leaks have suggested a haul of classic CoD maps from Treyarch and Sledgehammer may arrive in Modern Warfare 2 at some stage in the near future. Described as a ‘greatest hits map pack,’ we could be in store for the likes of Nuketown, London Docks, and plenty more to make a return in the next CoD release. Activision announced two classic maps, returning to Modern Warfare 2 during Season 1. As always, take these leaks with a pinch of salt until we see confirmation from the developers. Equipment, Field Upgrades, & Killstreaks in Modern Warfare 2 As you would expect from a new iteration of CoD, new tools of destruction are available. From lethal and tactical equipment never before seen in the franchise to popular killstreaks making a return, there’s plenty to keep in mind. In terms of equipment, the usual Claymores, Frags, and Throwing Knives are all in effect. But joining the list this year is the Drill Charge, a devastating explosive that can launch through surfaces to clear out rooms in an instant. On the tactical side, Heartbeat Sensors are back, as are Stuns, Flashes, and Stims. But joining the list is the Shock Stick, capable of debilitating your opponents for a brief period. As for Field Upgrades, we know of 15 already thanks to an early look through the Beta. The usual inclusions are all here like Dead Silence, Munitions Boxes, and Trophy Systems, but there are quite a few newcomers to be aware of. Loadout Drops are making the jump from Warzone into MW2, allowing everyone on your team to equip an extra Primary Weapon without needing Overkill. Tactical Cameras can be placed on any surface to provide an extra line of sight. And Inflatable Decoys can pose as an Operator while you flank. That’s just the tip of the iceberg though, so be sure to brush up here with a look at every Field Upgrade. Last but not least, for Killstreaks, everything is fairly standard in Modern Warfare 2. UAVs, Care Packages, Cruise Missiles, Sentry Guns, Chopper Gunners, Gunships, Advanced UAVs, Juggernauts, all the typical inclusions are back once again for another year in CoD. New Modern Warfare 2 Gunsmith explained Looking to streamline the weapon leveling process this year, Activision has overhauled its Gunsmith system. Rather than unlocking a new gun then having to unlock dozens of attachments for it, players can now unlock attachments for certain weapon types that then carry over. Receivers are now all important in CoD. Each weapon starts with its default Receiver but multiple can soon be acquired. For instance, what begins as an Assault Rifle can be morphed into an SMG or LMG with the right Receiver equipped. By leveling these Receivers, you earn attachments for that specific type that can then be used on future weapons within the same family. Therefore, instead of having to grind out all every single weapon and all of the attachments each time, this should drastically reduce the amount of time it takes. Activision confirmed 51 primary and secondary weapons at launch and 33 unique weapon platforms. there are 10 assault rifles, four battle rifles, seven SMGs, six LMGs, four shotguns, six marksman rifles, three sniper rifles, one riot shield, five sidearms, four launchers, and one melee secondary weapon. Call of Duty 2022: Modern Warfare 2 leaks Before Call of Duty Vanguard was even released, it already appeared as if we knew where 2022’s title was headed. Leaks dating back to September teased ‘Project’ Cortez as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. Based on the earliest leaks, players would supposedly join US special forces in fighting a “covert war against Colombian drug cartels,” according to a report from VGC. This campaign was allegedly set to ‘feel like’ Red Dead Redemption 2, with brutal realism, gore, and unique death animations. Tom Henderson from the VGC expanded on this take, highlighting “sophisticated” A.I. present in Modern Warfare 2, adding that they’ll be tougher than ever before. “If you shoot them in the arms or the legs, they’ll lose their limbs. If you shoot them in the chest, they might not necessarily die straight away,” Henderson said in a breakdown of the game’s dismemberment mechanics. However, this proved not to be the case once Modern Warfare 2 was officially unveiled in June. We now know the campaign is a direct follow-up to Modern Warfare 2019, following Task Force 141 through a globetrotting story. Alongside the leaked map loading screens, we also have a pretty solid idea of the game’s weapon pool thanks to significant weapon leaks. A number of guns from 2019 Modern Warfare will return, including the AX-50, Bruen Mk9, MP5, and MP7. There will also be never-before-seen weapons, so don’t worry too much about a repeat of MW 2019’s multiplayer. Other leaks have mentioned that the brand new multiplayer maps will feature a “brighter aesthetic” than 2019’s game, which was dominated by desert environments. Rumors also claim players will be able to select 4 perks as opposed to the standard 3, with Last Stand returning as a Field Upgrade. Modern Warfare 2 Warzone integration It has been confirmed that Infinity Ward is currently developing Warzone 2 alongside its next main game. The sequel to the CoD battle royale releases on November 16, shortly after Modern Warfare 2’s release. • Call of Duty 2021 set to use Modern Warfare 2019’s engine – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2021 set to use Modern Warfare 2019’s engine ActivisionAlready reported to be made by Sledgehammer Games and set in World War II, Call of Duty 2021 will also reportedly use Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone’s engine instead of Treyarch’s. As initial reports from various sources indicated, CoD 2021 will be set in WWII and already has a tentative title, Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard. Produced by Sledgehammer, whose last two CoDs were 2017’s WWII and 2014’s Advanced Warfare, expectations have been mixed. Now, though, some expectations can begin to coalesce. The theme is set, the developers are set and, in a report from VGC’s Andy Robinson, sources indicate that the engine is set, too. This has led to some debate over the title’s potential. While Modern Warfare and Warzone drew some ire from the competitive CoD scene, the engine has nonetheless enjoyed a lot of support as well. As Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War returned to a revamped version of Black Ops 4’s engine, CoD 2021 will use MW’s IW8 engine. Fortunately for disgruntled fans, the majority of complaints with MW and Warzone stemmed from decisions not anchored to the engine. Whether it was doors, auto tac sprint mechanics, map design or the lack of ranked play — all of those issues are not intrinsically tied to the engine itself. As such, some of the CoD community’s biggest voices have chimed in to support the engine decision. According to Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, a three-time CoD world champion, using IW8 for WW2 Vanguard is a “Huge W.” Huge W Some of you really should research game engines if you think this is a bad thing. https://t.co/wXv7LmCrI1 — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) March 27, 2021 Crimsix has won CoD titles across multiple engines, so he is very familiar with the franchise. Most recently winning Call of Duty League Champs with the Dallas Empire, the veteran has spoken up to confirm that MW’s engine is the way to go for 2021. In response to a fan who was concerned about tac sprint, Crim even offered a rebuttal that should give people comfort: “[That] has nothing to do with the engine.” In general, people appreciated MW’s engine for its graphics, sound design and some of its mechanics. Additionally, this decision should theoretically help with Warzone integration — which struggled to implement BOCW’s weapons at times (e.g. the poor state of Diamond and Dark Matter camos).

  • Call of Duty 2021 reveal set for Warzone live event in Season 4 – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2021 reveal set for Warzone live event in Season 4 Activision / Sledgehammer GamesWhile Activision has remained incredibly quiet when discussing Call of Duty 2021, a new leak suggests that an announcement for Sledgehammer Games’ new title will be present in Warzone Season 4. While we still don’t have any official footage, screenshots, or box art showcasing the CoD 2021 title, there have been a number of leaks and rumors floating around the internet. In fact, it was only during a recent earnings call that Sledgehammer Games was confirmed to be the developer of this year’s Call of Duty. Of course, thanks to previous leaks, we’ve already known about this information for some time. Details regarding the era and wider gameplay surrounding CoD 2021 have yet to be revealed, but that hasn’t stopped a number of renowned leakers from digging. Current sources state that the game will be called “Vanguard” and will focus on a traditional World War II setting. According to a recent datamine, the new title is set to be announced in Warzone Season 4. Potential CoD 2021 announcement in Warzone Season 4 The idea that Warzone would be used to announce the next Call of Duty title is certainly not a new one, especially since Black Ops Cold War was revealed in the same way. When players dropped into Verdansk, there were a number of changes that hinted towards the next title. Read More: New Warzone map for CoD 2021? – In order to set the scene, developers had redacted location names, hid map codes around Verdansk, and tasked players with tracking down Woods – one of Black Ops’ main characters. After completing this task, players were greeted with a reveal trailer that announced Black Ops Cold War. Now, it seems Activision is set to do the same exact thing with the reveal of Call of Duty 2021. According to the renowned leaker, @ZestyCODLeaks, a new event will be coming to Warzone in the Season 4 update. https://twitter.com/ZestyCODLeaks/status/1386760520754098176 “There is a new major event coming called ‘X2’ that will feature the Armoured Train and Ambushes,” says the leaker. “This has been in the files for months now, but it looks like they are finally working on it again. Also, there will be a cutscene after the event: scr_x2_duration_fade_out_movie.” It’s also interesting to note that the Black Ops Cold War reveal was named ‘x1_fin’ in the game’s files, so the upcoming reveal does seem to follow this trend. Whether we’ll see a ‘Know Your History’ style video reveal during Warzone Season 4 remains to be seen, but for now, a lot of players will be rightfully excited to see what Activision and Sledgehammer Games have planned.

  • Call of Duty 2021 officially being developed by Sledgehammer Games – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2021 officially being developed by Sledgehammer Games Treyarch / ActivisionActivision has confirmed the long-awaited rumors that Sledgehammer Games will be developing Call of Duty 2021. Here’s all the news regarding the latest announcement. Rumors have been circulating for quite some time now that Sledgehammer Games will be taking the helm for Call of Duty 2021. Now, on May 4 during a recent earnings call held by Activision-Blizzard, the corporation has confirmed these rumors. As well, the new Daniel Alegre, who is the current President and COO of Activision-Blizzard has commented on the next-generation optimization that the new CoD will offer. Here’s all you need to know. Sledgehammer Games confirmed as CoD 2021 developer During an earnings call held by Activision-Blizzard, the company finally confirmed the rumors that this year’s Call of Duty is being developed by Sledgehammer Games. For those who do not know, Sledgehammer Games were behind the development of Call of Duty WW2, which released back in 2017. This confirmation comes from Daniel Alegre, who as noted above, is the current President and COO of Activision-Blizzard. Alegre made the following comments per CoD 2021’s development and the aspirations they have for the game on next-generation hardware. “In particular, we are very excited for this year’s premium Call of Duty release. Development is being led by Sledgehammer Games and the game is looking great and on track for its fall release. This is a built for next generation experience with stunning visuals across campaign, multiplayer and co-operative modes of play, designed to both integrate with and enhance the existing COD ecosystem. We look forward to sharing more details with the community soon.” More details were not given at the time regarding the era and other properties surrounding CoD 2021. But, in recent months there have been an ample amount of rumors circulating that the game is going to be call Call of Duty WWII Vanguard. For now, we will have to wait for the official reveal of CoD 2021; which should happen within the next couple of months.

  • Call of Duty 2021 leaks hint at new Modern Warfare follow up – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2021 leaks hint at new Modern Warfare follow up Infinity WardBefore Black Ops Cold War arrives, we may already have our first hint of next year’s Call of Duty setting as a prominent leaker has teased a new Modern Warfare sequel. [jwplayer sEnFsekG] While the Call of Duty franchise has 17 mainline entries covering a wide array of timelines, two names stand out as the most iconic. Both the Black Ops series and the Modern Warfare series have seen the most iterations over the years. Treyarch has already released four titles in the Black Ops series with Cold War just weeks away. Meanwhile, Infinity Ward has four entries in the Modern Warfare series, the original trilogy along with 2019’s reboot. Now, it seems as though a fifth could also be on the way with Infinity Ward at the helm. Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software will reportedly be taking a back seat. Instead of the typical three-year development cycle, Infinity Ward has just two-years to work with. We’re still 12 months off from 2021’s mystery release, but we may already have our first details on next year’s title. “It’s looking like CoD for 2021 is another Modern Warfare title of some kind,” prominent leaker Tom Henderson revealed. Not a whole lot is known beyond that key detail, though the setting for the next release appears to be locked in. “Understandably not a lot of information as of yet, but it’s a modern-day setting,” he confirmed. Given Modern Warfare’s hard reboot with 2019’s release, could a new sequel be the next step? This would essentially bypass the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 if Activision opts for another identical title. To avoid even more confusion, there’s a good chance the name is a little different, similar to how Black Ops added Cold War to the title for 2020’s drop, despite it being a direct follow up to Black Ops 1. So expect to see Modern Warfare: ‘something something’ as the likely 2021 title. This could see a direct continuation from where 2019’s game left off. John Price is looking to assemble a team of classic characters to put a stop to Russian terrorist Victor Zakhaev. If Warzone’s ongoing storyline doesn’t beat the single-player campaign to the punch, this could be our objective in 2021’s release. https://twitter.com/_TomHenderson_/status/1321869882112299010 While this aspect is purely speculation, the leaker also considered the original Modern Warfare 2 being bundled in. No different from how Infinity Warfare launched with Modern Warfare remastered in 2016. We’re still months away from any official information on the 2021 title, so take this with a grain of salt for now. Black Ops Cold War is the focus for Activision. Anything regarding next year’s game will be kept under wraps for quite some time yet.

  • Call of Duty 2021 leak claims new CoD will be set in World War 2 again – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2021 leak claims new CoD will be set in World War 2 again ActivisionA new leak regarding the 2021 Call of Duty release suggests the game will once again have a World War II setting, just four years after the release of Call of Duty: WWII. [jwplayer bjQdhi3F] While the earliest Call of Duty games were focused almost exclusively in the World War 2 setting, the franchise has expanded tremendously since then and covered warfare in both modern and historical, real and fictional. Sledgehammer Games, who developed WWII back in 2017, are slated to be producing CoD 2021 according to leaks and rumors coming out — and they’re looking to revisit the setting once more. Known leaker Victor_Z dropped a subtle hint at what they’ve heard about the new game coming out this year — with simply a hammer emoji and an image of the CoD: WWII cover art. Back to WW2 for CoD 2021? The hammer is, presumably, in reference to Sledgehammer Games, while the cover art seems a little more up for interpretation. One user asked whether it would be World War 3, perhaps as a direct sequel to World War II, allowing Sledgehammer to develop their world a little further and provide a similar experience. Instead, Victor replied only with “WW2” — suggesting that the new game will once again be set in the Second World War. Of course, as with any Call of Duty leak, the responses have been fairly mixed. While many players enjoyed World War II, it also had its fair share of critics. Not to mention that the time period has been covered extensively not only in past CoD games, but in the shooter genre at large. There’s no way to know what to expect until Activision officially confirms the upcoming game, and as always, all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt — though Victor is historically reliable. Sledgehammer were expected to release their next Call of Duty title in 2020, but this was replaced with Black Ops Cold War. It was never quite made clear why this change was made, but it has given SHG a little extra time to make this game exactly how they want it. As a result, that means it’s been four years since their last effort, while most teams usually get just three — so fingers crossed this works out exactly how both player and developer want it to. Let us know how you feel about another World War 2 game by tweeting us at @DexertoIntel.

  • Call of Duty 2020 Vietnam leaks seemingly confirmed – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 Vietnam leaks seemingly confirmed ActivisionMore details about the next Call of Duty title have seemingly been confirmed by a prominent video game journalist. Leaks about the 2020 Call of Duty title suggested the game would not be a reboot or a new installment to the Black Ops series, and now, Jason Schreier has appeared to confirm those rumors were accurate. On Twitter, Schreier was asked about the likelihood of a Call of Duty game still releasing in 2020, despite ongoing world events and Treyarch taking over development from Sledgehammer Games. “As of right now, it’s still planned for fall,” he revealed, but noted that things could change drastically in the coming months. While Schreier stressed he wasn’t a lore aficionado when it comes to Call of Duty, he answered some more questions about what he knew about the upcoming game, and seemed to confirm the Vietnam rumors. As of right now it’s still planned for fall, but nobody knows what’s going to happen in the coming months! — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) April 21, 2020 “I’m not a COD person, so I don’t know anything about all the lore shenanigans or what it really means to be a Black Ops game, but one title I’ve heard thrown around a couple times is just ‘COD: Vietnam,’” the former Kotaku writer replied. He added that he was “unsure” if the game would in fact be part of the Black Ops universe. On April 20, well-known CoD leaker ‘TheGamingRevolution’ uploaded a video addressing rumors about the next game, and claimed that it won’t be tied directly to the Black Ops universe. However, he went on to make a point that the game is expected to crossover with the Black Ops story in some capacity. fwiw I poked around and as of right now I don’t think “”COD: Vietnam”” is the final title — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) April 21, 2020 Additionally, another YouTuber by the name of ‘dkdynamite’ claimed Sledgehammer Games had been worked on a Vietnam-based Call of Duty as far back as 2010, though it was shelved early on. While the YouTuber suggested the game’s title would be “Call of Duty: Vietnam,” Schreier appeared to dismiss that theory. “I poked around and as of right now I don’t think ‘COD: Vietnam’ is the final title,” he explained, implying that the Vietnam title was being used internally and/or as a codename. As the fall draws nearer, expect even more information about the upcoming game to make its way through the cracks.

  • Call of Duty 2020 rumors suggest Black Ops reboot could be delayed – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 rumors suggest Black Ops reboot could be delayed TreyarchWith Modern Warfare fast approaching a year old, many Call of Duty fans are turning their attention to the upcoming CoD 2020 title. However, new rumors suggest the game is in a poor state, and a reveal could still be some way off. Reportedly a Black Ops reboot developed by Treyarch, details are fast piling up regarding the upcoming Call of Duty 2020 title. Rumored to now just be called ‘Black Ops’, the project was handed to Treyarch after issues with development at Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. This seems to be the root of the rumored issues currently engulfing the game. Treyarch’s Black Ops III released in 2015, with Black Ops 4 coming in late 2018. This gave them two full years to develop BO4, a time-scale which has been halved for CoD 2020. CoD 2020 in a poor state Back in October, we brought you the news that CoD 2020 was rumored to be in a poor state. Recent rumors, from nearly 8 months later, echo these issues and suggest the game is struggling to near completion. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, one of the names who originally revealed details on CoD 2020, has since reiterated claims that the game is some way off a reveal. These leaks have been compounded by prominent CoD leaker TheGamingRevolution, who has suggested that the slow development of Warzone’s narrative indicates that CoD 2020 is struggling to progress. I think the reason why the COD 2020 reveal is going to be so late is because it’s tied into this Warzone on-going event which doesn’t seem to be reaching a climax anytime soon. — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevo3) June 11, 2020 Will CoD 2020 be delayed? Essentially, we don’t know, and we won’t know until Treyarch or Activision confirm something. While they have previously said that the game is still set for an autumn release, the rumors of a poor development state have cast fresh doubt on this timescale. CoD 2020 is already set for the latest reveal of any Call of Duty games, with some being teased as early as April. Mid-June, with no reveal, is unprecedented in CoD terms. Tom Henderson, a CoD YouTuber and insider (previously known as LongSensation on Twitter), has joined these suggestions, stating that he is “50/50” about whether the game will be delayed. “Over and over again I’ve heard the game is in a mess despite claims it’s ‘on track’,” he said, in a June 11 tweet. “I reported about 4-5 months ago that is isn’t where it needs to be. I’m 50/50 on if the game will be delayed.” Schreier’s COD comment on it not being announced for a while has me quite concerned. Over and over again I’ve heard the game is in a mess, despite claims it’s “on track”. I reported about 4-5 months ago that is isn’t where it needs to be. I’m 50/50 on if the game will be delayed. — Tom Henderson (@_TomHenderson_) June 11, 2020 It goes without saying that these comments are hearsay, and there is no guarantee that CoD 2020 will indeed be delayed. If the rumors are anything to go off, however, it sounds as if the incredibly tight time-scale is catching up with Treyarch.

  • Call of Duty 2020 rumored to be called ‘Black Ops Cold War’ – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 rumored to be called ‘Black Ops Cold War’ TreyarchRumors for the next title in the series suggest that players will take a trip back to a familiar locale as the developers ramp up production for Call of Duty 2020. Prominent CoD leaker ‘Okami’ on Twitter published a makeshift design that paid homage to the first Black Ops. The only difference is that the sub-title for the artwork is “Cold War,” suggesting that will be the title of Treyarch’s next game. The leaker has been accurate for unannounced information in the past, including details for Warzone before the battle royale even launched, as well as the remastered version of MW2, among others. With rumors around the next Call of Duty already pointing to a return to the Cold War era, Okami’s tweet has once again churned the fires of speculation for the upcoming title. According to the leaker, the moniker for the next title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This would give the Treyarch developers a ton of leeway to get back to the Black Ops roots in a big way. https://twitter.com/Okami13_/status/1262774644903424000 The murky and mostly political nature of the Cold War has proven to be an excellent setting for CoD’s writers in the past. A wider approach to the era of espionage and deceit would give ample room to maneuver and devise meaningful stories. It should be noted that Activision have been quiet this year on the next CoD. The publisher tends to build up hype as soon as May for its FPS release that usually takes the gaming industry by storm. Though the most comforting information for fans took place on May 5, when Activision COO Daniel Alegre confirmed that CoD 2020 is still “on track for release later this year.” While gauging the reliability of leaked information like this isn’t easy, the idea that the next Black Ops title will take place in the Cold War era isn’t new. Other rumors in the CoD community have suggested the same, with some leakers even going as far as to estimate when the game’s first teasers will begin to surface. Some have speculated the title to be “Call of Duty: Vietnam,” claiming that the game will not be a Black Ops reboot and will follow a separate storyline that takes place during the same time period. While that obviously conflicts with this latest rumor, there appears to be some agreement among the majority of prominent leakers that Treyarch will be taking the era of their next release back to when the first Black Ops took place. Activision have yet to even officially name which studio will take point on the project, though it’s been well-documented that Treyarch took the lead over Sledgehammer Games a year ago, with SHG and Raven Software staying on in supporting roles. The most promising sign that CoD 2020 is on track for its usual end-of-the-year launch window is that there’s a ton of buzz around the companies involved. If the game is going to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, then expect a teaser or some form of an announcement in the next few weeks for it to at least get a few months’ worth of hype before its release.

  • Call of Duty 2020 rumor suggests Black Ops 5 development in poor state – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 rumor suggests Black Ops 5 development in poor state TreyarchThe development of the 2020 Call of Duty release is apparently in turmoil, after reportedly being taken over by Treyarch who are now required to rush a game within only two years of their latest title. While the majority of the CoD community gears up for October 25 and the release of Modern Warfare, some fans are casting their minds forward to the game that will succeed Infinity Ward’s upcoming installment. There is (obviously) limited news regarding CoD 2020, given the fact it is so far away. However, a Kotaku report previously stated that the project was given to Treyarch following problems in the development cycle at Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software, who were in charge of the title initially. This breaks the recently established Call of Duty cycle, that saw Sledgehammer, Treyarch and Infinity Ward alternate since Advanced Warfare. It means that the time Treyarch has to create another game has essentially been halved, as they only have Modern Warfare’s one-year life cycle to follow up 2018’s Black Ops 4. Read More: Everything we know about CoD 2020 – Rumors so far have pointed towards another installment in the Black Ops series but, according to recent leaks from YouTuber and leaker TheGamingRevolution, the game’s title is not yet decided. TGR has claimed to reveal numerous details on Modern Warfare, but branched out to its successor on October 5. Hosting a Q&A with a CoD “source”, TGR tweeted that the game’s “current state (is) 3/10. Its name is still being thrown around between “BO5” and “Black Ops” or another Black Ops themed name.” “Current state is 3/10. It’s name is still being thrown around between “BO5” and “Black Ops” or another Black Ops themed name.” https://t.co/dl1ngHUaDd — TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevoYT) October 5, 2019 The notion of struggles at Treyarch would fit with the Kotaku report suggesting they have been handed the project at late notice. It would see a reversion to the formula of older CoD titles, where Infinity Ward and Treyarch would alternate yearly. While unconfirmed, many fans will be disappointed with the claims. Black Ops 4 underwhelmed some community members, who are now expressing a desire for a move away from the Black Ops series, after four consecutive installments from Treyarch. Idk why they’re keeping that name treyarch should just branch out they failed with BO4 — Angel (@gunzny) October 5, 2019 Sounda like it’s going to be a complete rushed disaster through the entirety of the game, probably a rushed Campaign, Multiplayer levels. If they’re told they have until 2021 from now, it would only be best so they could flush things out at it’s best and go at a pace. — Hunter’s Dawn – Mohamad Jaafar (@RageOutland) October 5, 2019 However, other users encouraged calm, arguing that it’s only natural for the game to be in such an early stage due to the late notice Treyarch were given. While these reports are unconfirmed, TheGamingRevolution has been correct in a number of his leaks up to now, including correctly predicting the 2v2 Gunfight mode in Modern Warfare. There is no real way of knowing what is happening behind the scenes at Treyarch, so we’ll have to stay tuned for official announcements.

  • New details on Call of Duty 2020 leaked: Black Ops ‘reboot’ set in Vietnam and Korea – Dexerto

New details on Call of Duty 2020 leaked: Black Ops ‘reboot’ set in Vietnam and Korea Call of dutyCall of Duty‘s 2020 release, apparently being developed mainly by Treyarch, has been reported to be a Black Ops reboot set during the “entire” Cold War era, featuring both the Vietnam and Korean War. After a report came out on May 19 from Kotaku that Activision would be breaking the standard three year developer cycle to bring Treyarch back in early, many fans were anxious to see what Call of Duty 2020 would bring. With the help of Raven and Sledgehammer studios, Treyarch are reportedly working on a new Call of Duty release which is set to be a reboot of the fan favorite Black Ops series, as is the case with the 2019’s Modern Warfare, launching on October 25. LongSensation, who has leaked accurate details about future Call of Duty releases in the past, revealed that two names have already been used by Treyarch for their new game: Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops V The upcoming addition to the Black Ops universe is expected to be set within the forty year period during the Cold War era, and will include elements of both the Korean and Vietnam war as part of the campaign. He also claimed that fans looking forward to the future Black Ops release can anticipate the game to be much more “gritty and gruesome” than even the next addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare. Call of Duty 2020 has been under 2 names thus far. Call of Duty: Black Ops Call of Duty: Black Ops VSet during the Cold War. Spans the entire 40+ years and incs Vietnam and Korean War. Described as even more gritty and gruesome than Modern Warfare. I’m not joking. — LongSensation (@LongSensationYT) August 7, 2019 Despite the success of Treyarch’s Black Ops 4 battle royale mode, Blackout, in place of their campaign mode, it appears as if they will be reverting back to old ways committing their efforts into developing a campaign once again and may release a battle royale post launch, as was reported to happen with Modern Warfare. Will CoD 2020 be rushed? Raven and Sledgehammer studios were initially tasked with Call of Duty’s 2020 release but were reportedly replaced by Treyarch as the leading studio after some early struggles in the game’s development. Many fans have since begin to wonder if the game will struggle from its late start but it was also reported that Treyarch would be adapting some of Raven’s and Sledgehammer’s previous work on the 2020 title in order to make up for lost time. Activision have not yet commented on any details surrounding the Call of Duty 2020 release but based on previous titles, fans will likely have to wait for official teasers to be revealed which are expected in Summer 2020.

  • Early Call of Duty 2020 gameplay footage reportedly leaked – Dexerto

Early Call of Duty 2020 gameplay footage reportedly leaked TreyarchMore than 45 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay footage for the franchise’s upcoming Call of Duty 2020 release, rumored to be titled ‘Black Ops Cold War,’ has reportedly surfaced and been shared online late this week. One Twitter user, a Call of Duty semi-pro player, claimed he had seen a 45-minute segment of the 2020 release’s pre-alpha gameplay. He has since deleted the original tweets and removed all mentions of the leak. Soon after the original claim, a 106-second video surfaced online and began being shared on social media. The short snippet, hosted by various Twitter users, seems to reveal playtesters running through a new CoD 2020 map. New Call of Duty 2020 details in alleged gameplay leak Unfortunately, there’s not much information we can glean from the alleged pre-alpha video clip. The weapon in the clip does not specifically seem to fit the game’s rumored Cold War era. The map has also not been fully rendered. The footage was first shared by former Sixth Gear pro Christopher ‘Oog’ Garcia. He reported it was from a new map titled “Tanks”. He also suggested it would debut in the title’s official release. It was not clear what playlists it would host. It is also likely both the weapon — which appears to be an assault rifle — and the potential multiplayer map revealed in the leaked clip are simply placeholder resources. This would allow the developers to test animations, interactions, and more while using low-requirement mock-ups. Another notable feature, or lack of, is the fact the pre-alpha footage shows both mantling and running — key features in the Call of Duty franchise — but does not show sliding or any advanced movement. Infinity Ward’s decision to include a slide mechanic in Modern Warfare has been one of the sticking points for an otherwise highly-praised Call of Duty release. From players to pro stars, many despise the advanced move technique. Activision has yet to publicly comment on the veracity of the leaks. The publishers have, however, been issuing copyright strikes and DMCA warnings to all social media users either hosting or distributing the alleged gameplay segment. At the time of publication, Dexerto has cited the alleged CoD 2020 footage hosted by Twitter user ‘walshburg’. He said he did not believe it was “full build” gameplay. While the clip remains live — for the time being — you can view it here.

  • Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer maps revealed in new ‘The Red Door’ leaks – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer maps revealed in new ‘The Red Door’ leaks TreyarchMore than half a dozen multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 2020, which is reportedly set to be called Black Ops Cold War, have leaked thanks to the mysterious new ‘The Red Door’ listing on the Xbox Live game store. According to datamining leaks, there are already eight multiplayer maps hidden in the brand new The Red Door listing on the Xbox store. The mysterious title, which appeared on July 15, is rumored to be the Call of Duty 2020 beta. Interestingly enough, these new multiplayer files — found by dataminer ProtoWarehouse and shared by ModernWarzone — echo the same details that YouTuber TheXclusiveAce revealed all the way back on June 26. That suggests these may well and truly be eight of the launch maps set to be bundled into the late-2020 release of Treyarch’s seventh entry into the Call of Duty franchise. Here are all eight of the maps we’ve seen so far: Black Sea – Cartel – K.G.B. – Miami – Moscow – Satellite – Tank – Tundra – The eight leaked maps all appeared in TheXclusiveAce’s now-deleted YouTube post last month as well. That suggests he may have been pressured into delisting the video by Activision’s legal team. This was likely due to the veracity of the leaks. Of these eight multiplayer maps, one stands out: ‘Tank’. In June, 45 minutes of pre-alpha Call of Duty 2020 gameplay footage was reportedly leaked. At the time, many dismissed the clips as fake. Now, it looks like they were entirely correct. The main multiplayer map shown off in a 106-second snippet shared around on social media on June 3 was allegedly titled ‘Tanks’. The pre-alpha footage showed a fully-sized Black Ops map that had not been fully rendered. Activision never publicly commented on the June 3 leaks. The studio did, however, issue multiple copyright strikes and DMCA warnings for those hosting the footage on Twitter, and the footage has since been scrubbed from the internet. These leaks come a month after reports emerged that multiple Black Ops maps are allegedly in the works. Insider reports suggest fan-favorite Black Ops 1 maps like Nuketown, Jungle, Summit, and Firing Range will all be included. New Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer maps have been far from the only thing dug out of the new ‘The Red Door’ listing by dataminers. They have also discovered most campaign level names for the Black Ops Cold Wars title. The new July leaks have also locked in the return of the super-popular Call of Duty Zombies mode, which has become a staple for Treyarch releases over the past decade. Warzone will also be getting new zones, the leaks suggest.

Call of Duty 2020 leak lists new Warzone map ‘zones’ ActivisionA list of Warzone map POIs has been discovered from within the files of the CoD 2020 alpha, seemingly confirming that the battle royale will run through to the next Call of Duty. Infinity Ward’s entrance into the battle royale genre was a massive success. But with next-generation consoles and a rumored Black Ops reboot in the works, questions remained about how Warzone would transition across to a Treyarch title. Regardless of gunplay feeling different, you might also be wondering how the Verdansk map would ship across to an entirely different title. But we may now have an answer, partly. As part of data miners’ scour through the ‘Black Ops CIA’ alpha files, they have uncovered some new ‘zones’ that will feature in the next iteration of Warzone. Black Ops CIA: Warzone? Initially reported by COD Tracker, Warzone will be coming to Call of Duty: 2020, but not as we know it. It appears that, according to the most recent leak of map POIs, that fans can expect to be landing in an entirely new map come Fall 2020. This means all of the teasers that Infinity Ward has embedded throughout the last few seasons might actually be leading up to a brand new map — Urzikstan, could it be? Per the initial report and most recent leak, the full list of potential new ‘zones’ are: Forest. – Russia. – Goldova. – Duga (Radar Station). – Mines. – Chemical Lab. – Weather Station. – Ski Slopes. – Zoo. – Ruka (City). – Battery. – Sanatorium. – Lake. – Swamp. – So while this not only points to Warzone coming to next-generation consoles and the next iteration within the Call of Duty franchise, it also gives substance to the theories surrounding a new map. What will be most interesting, though, will be how Treyarch and Infinity Ward cooperate to bridge the time gap between both Modern Warfare and the next title, which is supposedly set during the events of the Cold War. Perhaps the first step will be the introduction of a certain Frank Woods, whose recent appearance in the game’s files has sparked a plethora of theories. Linking that to the new map locations might allow fans to join the dots…

  • Call of Duty 2020: Is Treyarch going back to Black Ops’ roots? – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020: Is Treyarch going back to Black Ops’ roots? ActivisionWith Treyarch hard at work developing the next Call of Duty game, there are numerous leaks pointing towards a remake of their trademark ‘Black Ops’ series. Black Ops is arguably the most popular series in the Call of Duty franchise. Its blockbuster campaign holds an ever-evolving storyline, with the narrative largely focusing on political espionage. Combine that with a gripping multiplayer infrastructure and a fan-favored ‘Zombies’ game mode (which runs canon to parts of the single-player campaign), and fans everywhere are eagerly anticipating Treyarch’s next release. Sledgehammer out, Treyarch in… kind of After Activision cut Sledgehammer Games from the Call of Duty 2020 development cycle, they drafted in Treyarch one year ahead of schedule. Kotaku’s report suggests that Treyarch are now taking lead on the next iteration, with Sledgehammer and Raven Software taking a backseat and serving as support studios for the project. A job listing from Treyarch to aid their bid to deliver a “next-generation AAA title in 2020” all but confirmed that they were now steering the ship. Jetpacks coming back? Call of Duty’s futuristic movement system is old news — at least, many fans hope. Developers have dipped their toes into that genre, only to be scolded by the game’s loyal community. Treyarch’s Game Design Director, David Vonderhaar, has interacted with a fan about the idea of jetpacks being brought back to ‘revive’ the game. In response, Vahn claimed he had “PTSD” from the last time Black Ops incorporated the advanced movement system into their beloved series. Such short-term memories. You hung me from the highest branch. No. NO. I have PTSD. — Vahn (@DavidVonderhaar) January 5, 2020 With that being said, jetpacks haven’t yet been officially taken off the table, and until that happens, there’s a chance that they could make a return to the series. However, given Vonderhaar’s aversion at the mere mention of them, it’s likely that players will be going ‘boots-on-the-ground’ — which also aligns with rumors of a prequel. Black Ops prequel in the Cold War? The Cold War spanned well over four decades following WWII, with the Black Ops story being placed slap-bang in the middle (running between 1961-68). Since we already know that Sledgehammer were originally at the helm, what better way to conveniently move on from their previous title than to set your plot at the inception of the Cold War? Considering that Sledgehammer’s last entry was based around the events of ‘Operation Overlord’ from WWII — a mere three years before the Cold War-era. Per a report from GamesRadar, the campaign is set to span across the entirety of the Cold War. Meaning that the events of the Korean War in the 1950s (which is yet to appear in a Call of Duty campaign) would be covered. Moreover, the narrative would smoothly transition into the events of Black Ops and thus act as a prequel for the series, while simultaneously bridging the gap between Treyarch’s debut title ‘World at War’ and their staple series. Definitely food for thought… While we have not received any official confirmation on whether a Cold War prequel is the definite play from Treyarch, it could be the most logical solution from a production standpoint. How else are they going to chop-off a third of a three-year development cycle? Building on Sledgehammer’s foundations would likely kill plenty of birds of with one stone, while also serving a purpose in the franchise’s progression. One thing’s for sure, with Treyarch and Sledgehammer both chipping in with their creative inputs, Call of Duty 2020 is shaping up to be another enthralling addition to the franchise.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: Everything we know – Dexerto

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: Everything we know With Black Ops Cold War very close on the horizon, we break down everything we know so far about the upcoming FPS title, from setting, developers, zombies, multiplayer and more. CoD 2020 setting First off, we’ll deal with the development team for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, because the two are essentially intertwined. Despite Call of Duty’s three-year-cycle suggesting it is the turn of Sledgehammer Games, development was was handed to veteran CoD developers Treyarch. Following on from this, it has been confirmed that the game will be set in during the Cold War of the 1980s. This makes sense off the back of the Treyarch developed Black Ops series, the first of which is set in the Cold War. While the game is not set to be a sequel to any of the Black Ops series, it is said to tie into the series as a “soft reboot”. Black Ops Cold War, or just Black Ops? The game’s name is now confirmed as Black Ops Cold War, which early leaks indicated. The links to the Black Ops series appear to be hinted at in Modern Warfare, with deconstructed RC-XDs found in the Warzone map. The RC-XD is a kill-streak that has featured, in some form, in every single Black Ops game to date. Campaign Given the game’s setting in the Cold War, it stands that the campaign will also fit into this narrative. It says on the Black Ops site that, “…players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters, and more.” The most militaristic conflict in the Cold War was the Vietnam War, which the game will revisit. It was in also featured in the original Black Ops. Zombies Details about the next Call of Duty’s Zombies mode indicate that this iteration’s mode is likely to be the most terrifying yet. A co-op mode, new ways that allow players to progress are included, such as perks and weaponry from the Cold War era that are sure to spark up a whole load of adrenaline for those who choose to partake in the mode. Squads in Zombies are a feature, bringing cross-play to the mode for the first time in history. This will be an exciting feature for many who have friends across multiple platforms that wish to embark on a zombie killing spree together. The mode will also allow players to progress through the Battle Pass, giving players a new way to tier up through content. Weapons have a rarity to them, meaning greater damage for those extra special finds. Multiplayer The game’s multiplayer, similar to the campaign looks to be a fantastic experience when players jump in on release day. There are new additions such as automatic healing, grounded operator movement and other new systems that will add to the immersion and high-quality content we have all come to expect with Call of Duty iterations. One of the few things that hasn’t change is that there will still be no jet-packs in this year’s game. It certainly seems obvious now given the setting, but David Vonderhaar actually confirmed this back in January, prior to the circulation of any rumors. The RC-XD in Warzone also appears to hint at scorestreaks of a similar nature to the first Black Ops game. Leakers have also suggested that a host of fan-favourites will return to the series. Custom Classes? Create-a-class is also returning, allowing you greater control in how you want your operator to function out on the field, with field upgrades such as advanced munitions to take down your opposition. Battle Royale? Call of Duty developers have already commented that Warzone will remain a constant throughout the next few years, acting as a “thread” to link the different games together. These links are been cemented by YouTuber TheXclusiveAce, who states that Warzone will be the main battle royale for Cold War. This appears to have quashed rumors that Black Ops 4’s Blackout would make a meaningful return. ‘The Red Door’ ‘The Red Door’ is the label that appeared for an internal Alpha test relating to Call of Duty 2020, back on June 10. That codename has now appeared again as a July 15 public listing was spotted on the Xbox Live store. While it’s purely a codename for now, the store page came fit with key art, a full description, and even allowed users to redeem a code for early access. It’s not currently clear how ‘The Red Door’ ties into CoD 2020. A code name seems the most likely answer at this early stage, but we may be closer to a release than first thought. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S and Series X , Xbox One and Microsoft Windows November 13, 2020. That rounds up everything we know about Call of Duty 2020 so far! We will continue to update you on new developments as they emerge.

  • Call of Duty 2020 details leaked: maps, Warzone, modes, features, more – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 details leaked: maps, Warzone, modes, features, more [jwplayer SZm0PqRr]A massive leak has surfaced about the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2020 title, revealing new details about the game’s features, modes, maps, and how it will work with Warzone. The Call of Duty community is still awaiting an official reveal for the 2020 game, which is currently being developed by Treyarch and is expected to be called “Black Ops,” according to heavy speculation and leaks. On June 26, prominent YouTuber TheXclusiveAce posted a video (which has since been set to private) discussing many never-before-revealed details about the game, which he obtained from an “unnamed source” who has direct knowledge and even showed him gameplay footage and map overviews. According to the leak, the upcoming CoD will feature a single-player campaign, multiplayer, zombies, and will exist alongside Warzone, which confirms that the battle royale will continue to exist beyond Modern Warfare. Multiplayer Maps & modes Apparently there are 10 multiplayer maps developed so far, with them all nearing completion. They are “Treyarch-style,” which means that CoD will likely be going back to its traditional three-lane design. One of them is “very small,” set on a boat that’s located on the Black Sea, and another called Tank, which was shown in the gameplay leak that surfaced earlier in June. Of course, this follows a previous leak claiming that several old-school maps from the Black Ops series will be remastered for this title as well. As far as modes go, the standard playlists will be 6v6 and Gunfight won’t be returning, which means there likely won’t be that many options with lower player-counts. However, there will supposedly be a new mode that will take place on various sections of the Warzone map. ⚠️ LEAK: Several classic maps will apparently be returning in Call of Duty 2020 (Black Ops: Cold War), including Nuketown, Firing Range, and more. Details – https://t.co/IqPxth3vcl pic.twitter.com/Jdqw6xT1jU — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) May 28, 2020 Features Here are a list of features that TheXclusiveAce’s source claims will be added and/or brought back for the upcoming CoD game. Swimming mechanic – Standard mini-map (red dots show when enemy team is shooting) – Compass remains on HUD (introduced in Modern Warfare) – Unlimited sprint – No interactive doors – No Specialists, but a Field Upgrade feature will return – Players will get one piece from equipment to choose from – Scorestreaks will be back – There is NO Dead Silence at this time – 150 health (similar to Black Ops 4) but has auto-heal. – Create-A-Class is “unique” – a hybrid between pick-10 and classic, but with no Gunsmith. – Warzone The YouTuber’s video reaffirms that Warzone will be the main battle royal during the life-span of CoD 2020, backing up all the speculation and comments from Activision that they’ll continue to support to the BR after Modern Warfare. According to the leak, there will be a new map based in Russia released at the game’s launch, and TheXclusiveAce claims to have seen an overview of it. There will be water on it that players can go into and swim, as the same mechanic from multiplayer will also be in the BR. Of course, all of this information is based on a leak and should be treated as such, as nothing is official until Activision formally announce the game. Speaking of which, there’s still no timetable as for when CoD 2020 will be revealed; they’ve traditionally been unveiled no later than the end of May, but circumstances are obviously different this year. In fact, they’ve not even officially named Treyarch as the main developer, despite the fact that it’s common knowledge at this point the company took over Sledgehammer Games’ duties in early 2019. We will continue to bring you the latest info and leaks about the upcoming Call of Duty title, so make sure to follow us on Twitter @DexertoINTEL for regular updates.

  • Call of Duty 2020 art leak appears to confirm Black Ops reboot and name – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2020 art leak appears to confirm Black Ops reboot and name TreyarchA new image datamined and leaked from the Call of Duty 2020 internal developer alpha reveals that the game will be some sort of reboot of the Black Ops series and take place during the Cold War era. The rumor mill continues to churn for CoD 2020, and with no official announcement yet from Activision, leaks and speculation remain the main source of information for most of the player-base. The latest leak, which surfaced on June 9, is an actual image containing the Call of Duty logo with Black Ops under it, set over a black-and-white collage of images. Since there’s no number following the title (the previous one in the series was Black Ops 4), this a strong suggestion that the game will be a reboot of the sub-franchise, as opposed to yet another sequel. The background image is just as interesting as the title; there’s definitely a Cold War feel to the whole thing, especially the file on the bottom left corner that contains the date 1976, which falls smack-dab in the middle of the decades-long conflict. Technically, this info isn’t anything new: There was already widespread speculation that the next CoD will be another Black Ops game set during the Cold War era. However, this image is the first real visual confirmation we’ve had. It’s also provided a bit of a twist – many believed that the game was going to be titled “Black Ops: Cold War,” but the picture seems to suggest otherwise, even though it looks to be taking place during that time period. Read More: 4 new features Warzone desperately needs – Following this leak, several prominent CoD dataminers, such as Tom Henderson, have come out and said that they believe the game will simply be called Call of Duty: Black Ops. Either way, almost everyone seems to agree that the existence of this image confirms the reboot. https://twitter.com/_TomHenderson_/status/1270394938925223943 It’s been a wild ride with the many different titles this game’s gone under Black Ops Black Ops Cold War COD Vietnam COD Cold WarThis year has been the craziest year for leaks, I wonder how much will be wrong/right. With MW it was a lot more concise https://t.co/J56ZgVZTmV— TheGamingRevolution (@TheGamingRevo3) June 9, 2020 As for the picture’s origin, it was in an integral developer alpha version of CoD 2020, which was given the code name ‘The Red Door’ in the back-end files. Dataminers gave The Red Door a closer look and discovered that it’s essentially a 71 GB patch for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, with files pointing to the existence of multiplayer, campaign, zombies, Warzone, and, of course, the art. There seems to be no doubt about the image’s authenticity, as Activision have reportedly been filing copyright claims against users displaying it on their social pages – a clear indication that it’s real. The only thing left to do now is wait for them to officially announce the game and release a trailer so that we can finally see how much, if any, of all these leaks end up proving to be accurate.

  • Call of Duty 2019 reveal date leaked? – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2019 reveal date leaked? The anticipation for the Call of Duty 2019 game is reaching fever-pitch, especially since a new leak has supposedly announced the reveal date. Reveal date leaked Murmurings of an imminent announcement took the CoD community by storm last night (May 23) with rumors of a same day reveal. After these proved to be false, many then thought May 24 would be the reveal day. Apparently both of these dates are incorrect as Gaming INTEL has now leaked that May 30 will be the reveal date of Call of Duty 2019. Their anonymous source appears to have correctly predicted that the game wouldn’t be called Modern Warfare 4 as universally thought. The logic behind the claimed May 24 reveal date by many in the CoD community came as a result of looking at the reveals of past Modern Warfare games. Call of Duty: MW2 was revealed on May 22, 2009 and MW3 on May 23, 2011. Therefore, a May 24 reveal date seemed more than plausible. Not MW4 Reports surfaced earlier today (May 24) that the next Call of Duty game would not be titled Modern Warfare 4. After months of reports suggesting it would be, it had been assumed by many that it would be. Instead, and somewhat confusingly to some, the game will simply be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Most CoD fans will question this saying that there has already been a Call of Duty game called this. However, the first title for the first Modern Warfare game was actually Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. As a result the removal of the “4” in the latest title makes it officially a different name. Whether players continue to refer to the game as Modern Warfare 4 or MW4 for the sake of clarity, and perhaps habit, remains to be seen.

  • Call of Duty 2019 reportedly won’t be called Modern Warfare 4 after all – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2019 reportedly won’t be called Modern Warfare 4 after all New reports suggest that the 2019 edition of the immensely popular first-person-shooter series Call of Duty will not be called Modern Warfare 4 as first believed, but rather just Modern Warfare, as Infinity War attempt a “soft reboot” on the franchise. With the announcement confirming the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise thought to be imminent, many CoD fans are desperate for any news regarding the game as we inch closer and closer to its fall release. Now, it appears that the title of the game, which many believed to be locked in as Modern Warfare 4, will, in fact, simply be called Modern Warfare. First reported by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, the game will drop the numerical value at the end and simply be referred to as Modern Warfare, much like Advanced Warfare or Infinite Warfare, two of the more recent Call of Duty offerings. The decision to name the game Modern Warfare and not Modern Warfare 4 will likely cause confusion among older fans of the franchise, who will remember the similarly titled Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which released back in 2007. It’s possible that Activision and developers Infinity Ward thought that having CoD4 and MW4 would also cause confusion, so, perhaps, felt that losing the number may help those who could be confused as to which game is the newest. I can confirm this is true, and that it’s hilarious. The first one was “”Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare”” so obviously the fourth one is “”Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.”” Video games are absurd https://t.co/Ghb1m2srC4 — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) May 24, 2019 Schreier also suggests that Modern Warfare will be a “soft reboot” for the series, meaning we may not see some of our favorite characters from the game’s history in the new title when it releases. While Infinity Ward employees have dropped hints about the upcoming game, we are yet to see any official announcement about the game from either the developers or Activision – the publishers of the series. It’s possible that the release of this new information may be a precursor to an upcoming teaser or the official starting point of the game’s marketing. Call of Duty games are generally announced in May or June, so it seems like we won’t have long to wait until we find out what the actual name of the game is.

  • Call of Duty 2019: Everything we know so far – Modern Warfare 4 leaks and rumors – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2019: Everything we know so far – Modern Warfare 4 leaks and rumors Don’t Feed the GamersThere are still a lot of questions surrounding the release of Call of Duty’s 2019 title, but there’s been plenty of rumors and ‘leaks’ already – here’s the low down on everything we know so far. Call of Duty fans are eagerly anticipating the official announcement about next year’s title – which is reportedly set to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The Modern Warfare part of the CoD franchise is extremely popular, dating back to the release of the original Modern Warfare title in 2007. However, there hasn’t been a release in the series since 2011. So, here’s everything we know about the next installment of CoD – including whether or not the Modern Warfare franchise will be making a return. Fans are still waiting for their chance to return to the Modern Warfare games. Is it Modern Warfare 4? Well, it appears as if that is the case. Activision has already suggested the game would be “rooted in the franchise’s important history,” prompting speculation about MW4.While plenty of reports had already suggested that the next Modern Warfare game would be coming this year, a few folks have seemingly let the cat out of the bag. First up, Robert ‘fourzerotwo’ Bowling, formerly of Infinity Ward, told one fan to invest in brown pants after they said that they would shit themselves if the next game was to be Modern Warfare 4. Then, less than a day later, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota told streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff that when he “played the new one,” at the private test event, it was “like the old Modern Warfare,” referring to Call of Duty 4. There have been a ton of ‘leaks’ about MW4 – but some are to be ignored. When will CoD 2019 released? Seeing as we don’t even have an official announcement about what the game will be, it would be pretty hard to have a release date. However, with it being Call of Duty, we can expect the game to be released before the holiday period. Traditionally, we have been able to expect a new title to be released around the start of November. However, Treyarch broke that mold with Black Ops 4 by releasing the game on October 12, the only main entry in the series not released in November. Will it have a single-player mode? Yes, that is not a rumor but confirmed by Activision themselves. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 became the first installment to not feature a campaign story, MW4 is set to have all the elements you would expect, including single-player campaign, a large multiplayer mode, and co-op experience. MW2 had one of the most iconic Campaign modes in CoD history. What about a Battle Royale? It had been previously ‘leaked’ that the next CoD title would not feature a Battle Royale extension, similar to how Treyarch added Blackout to Black Ops 4. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Call of Duty pros – While that information should have been taken with a mountain of salt, as it was all unconfirmed and from a pretty much unrecognizable source, it appears as if that will be the case and there won’t be a Modern Warfare-themed BR dropping with your purchase of the game. Black Ops 4 introduced ‘Blackout’ to Call of Duty – but MW4 probably won’t follow suit. Will Modern Warfare 2 and 3 be remastered? The same leaker also noted that the game would come with the campaigns of Modern Warfare 2 and 3 both remastered – however, there would be no multiplayer element. Fans have been waiting for Modern Warfare 2 remastered to be released since it was first hinted at back in 2018. Will it finally be released, at least in some capacity, alongside Modern Warfare 4? It remains to be seen. So, there you have it, everything we know – up to this point – about Call of Duty 2019. This post will be updated as and when new information surfaces about the highly-anticipated release so be sure to keep following Dexerto for all the latest news and updates.

  • Call of Duty 2019 being developed by Infinity Ward, will have Campaign mode – Dexerto

Call of Duty 2019 being developed by Infinity Ward, will have Campaign mode With many questions and rumors floating around regarding the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Activision has shared some key details about the upcoming game. A full announcement is not expected for a couple of months, but Activision has still decided to reveal new details on the 16th entry in the popular franchise during their Q4 2018 Earnings Call on February 12. Activision started out by officially confirming that Infinity Ward will be developing the upcoming title, which will be the studio’s eighth Call of Duty title and first since Infinite Warfare in 2016. Along with the return of Infinity Ward, Call of Duty 2019 will also see the return of the single-player campaign that was notoriously absent from Black Ops 4. In addition to the new campaign, it was confirmed that Call of Duty 2019 will also have a “large” multiplayer mode and new co-op experiences. While Infinite Warfare might have been met with mixed reviews overall, the campaign was one of the most well-received in franchise history. Also Activision Blizzard CEO just said that in the 10 years he’s seen Call of Duty development, he’s never seen this much excitement amongst the studios for a new Call of Duty game. — Call of Duty News • charlieINTEL.com (@charlieINTEL) February 12, 2019 With a return of single-player and co-op content, Call of Duty 2019 is said to be a game “rooted in franchise history” that the company has “high expectations” for. No confirmation was given as to what specific series this game will be a part of, it seems to give weight to rumors that it will be the fourth entry in the popular Modern Warfare series. The positive news will surely be welcomed by many Call of Duty fans who have grown restless over the lack of content for Black Ops 4. To that point, Activision Blizzard CFO also stated during the call that the company is investing a lot into Call of Duty’s development and will bring new content more often during the life cycle of the next game.

  • Call of Duty: 100 Thieves players reflect on disappointing CWL Las Vegas performance – Dexerto

Call of Duty: 100 Thieves players reflect on disappointing CWL Las Vegas performance CWL Las Vegas saw the LAN debut of the new 100 Thieves CoD roster. However, disappointing performances saw them fail to make the mark that they were hoping for. The 100 Thieves squad headed into Las Vegas with plenty of excitement and hype around them after back-to-back second place finishes in the CMG ProDown tournaments online. The 2018 CoD Champs runners-up, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, Maurice ‘Fero’ Henrique and Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt, joined the organisation alongside top assault rifle players in Sam ‘Octane’ Larew and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat in a bid to become one of the top teams in Black Ops 4. However, starting out the season with a third-place finish in Pool Play, behind an open bracket team, and only a top 12 placement overall was not the ideal start for the new roster. Their disappointment was clear to see after exiting to Luminosity Gaming in the losers bracket. SlasheR took to Twitter to post about his embarrassment following the performance and how it was possibly one of the worst team events he’d ever played. • Warzone player gets ultimate revenge after camper caught hardscoping – Dexerto

Warzone player gets ultimate revenge after camper caught hardscoping One vengeful Call of Duty: Warzone player captured and shared footage of the revenge they enacted on a hard-scoping sniper who took them out from long range. The act of hard-scoping in Warzone and other Call of Duty games often gets a bad rap, even though those who utilize the tactic have effectively committed themselves to a sniper’s stated purpose. However, some users, particularly those dispatched under such circumstances, view hard-scoping as derisively as camping. Every so often, though, a hard-scope-focused Warzone clip will go viral online, once more stimulating discourse about the tactic’s supposed cheapness in multiplayer matches. The latest of such gameplay clips doesn’t exactly favor the sniper. Warzone player gets revenge on sniper Recently, Reddit user spideyjiri uploaded a roughly 40-second gameplay video of their encounter with a water tower sniper in Call of Duty Warzone. The sniper in question dispatched the Redditor from a distance, taking the player out as they engaged with another opponent on the ground. When the replay footage showed the sniper hard-scoping, spideyjiri wasted no time redeploying and headed straight for the map’s water tower. Upon reaching their destination, the player enacted the ultimate revenge by performing a Warzone Finishing Move that threw the shooter across the map. Clearly, some players take sitting on the receiving end of hard-scoping much harder than others. It was a cleanly executed retribution mission, though, one the water tower sniper won’t soon forget. Warzone has appeared in the news plenty of late, thanks in large part to ongoing rumors and speculation about its sequel. While Infinity Ward and Activision confirmed Warzone 2’s existence earlier in the year, neither company has seen fit to share concrete details. But Activision did note in a quarterly earnings report that an official reveal will go live later in 2022.

In particular, lighting-centric improvements in Call of Duty provide each new entry with another layer of realism, a boon for the popular military shooter. However, some players argue that while elements such as the in-game sun are awe-inspiring, toning them down is a must for gameplay purposes. Warzone’s sun glare has players calling for reduced realism Reddit user Commando_ag recently posted a screenshot accompanied by the simplest hashtag, #NerfTheSun. The screenshot shows the player’s line of sight being completely overtaken by a distracting glare on the Urzikstan map. They claim the sun’s glare becomes especially bothersome when moving around areas like the town and lighthouse. “I understand ‘realism’ but it should be considerably toned down for the sake of gameplay,” the original poster wrote. Warzone players in the replies agree that the in-game sun does more harm than good in many cases. One person claims they’ve died several times thanks to “God rays.” The user explained, “Dude, I’ve died a few times because I couldn’t see the [enemy] because of this godray.” Meanwhile, others have chimed in to say that even tweaking their settings rarely helps get the sun out of their eyes. “Unless I’m doing something wrong, even the Nvidia filters don’t help without really taking a hit on dark areas.” Another person said adjusting screen brightness doesn’t really do the trick, either. As such, they avoid the Fortune’s Keep battle royale map because it “hurts” their eyes. This is far from the first time that Warzone players have complained about the game’s blinding sun. The sunlight that warmed the Caldera and Verdansk locales similarly caused problems for players.

  • Call of Duty hits $30 billion revenue milestone as Warzone continues to boom – Dexerto

Call of Duty hits $30 billion revenue milestone as Warzone continues to boom According to the latest figures from Activision Blizzard, Warzone’s success has helped the Call of Duty franchise reach a staggering $30 billion revenue milestone. Such high figures have become the norm for Activision’s flagship shooter series over the years. In 2020, for instance, the year in which Warzone became available, Call of Duty exceeded $3 billion in net bookings for the 12-month period. That same summer saw Warzone and Modern Warfare (2019) rake in $500 million through in-game purchases alone. Call of Duty’s console and PC outings aren’t the only experiences bringing in the big bucks, either. The most recent annual report from Activision confirmed that COD Mobile had topped 650 million downloads, almost matching the collective number of PC and console users. Call of Duty revenue reaches new milestone The latest sales-related statistics out of Activision Blizzard confirm that Warzone has proven nothing short of a boon for the company’s bottom line. More than 125 million players have dropped into the world of Warzone since its early 2020 launch on consoles and PC. And as a whole, the Call of Duty series has moved over 425 million premium units in its lifetime to date, while earning an astronomical $30 billion in revenue. Needless to say, despite the controversies surrounding Activision Blizzard, its flagship brand remains a force to be reckoned with on the market. The potential success of this year’s Call of Duty entry could result in another major boon for brand growth. Earlier this week, Activision and developer Infinity Ward formally unveiled Modern Warfare 2, complete with a look at multiplayer and the story campaign. Not all fans were pleased by the news that followed the reveal, though, specifically with regards to MW2’s $70 price tag across all platforms. Still, many remain eager to learn more about the next Warzone experience, which Activision plans to showcase later in the year.

  • Call of Duty players argue multiplayer won’t improve without competition – Dexerto

Call of Duty players argue multiplayer won’t improve without competition Activision BlizzardMany Call of Duty players now believe the online suite, specifically 6v6 multiplayer, will not improve until true competition hits the market. For over a decade, Call of Duty has remained in a league of its own when it comes to the first-person military shooter space. Sure, experiences such as Battlefield, Halo, and PUBG occasionally manage to shake up the status quo in this regard. None have truly contested Activision’s golden goose, however, especially not enough to impact the publisher’s bottom line. Some longtime fans contend this is the very reason Call of Duty’s multiplayer won’t receive significant improvements. Modern Warfare 2 players believe Call of Duty “needs competition” In a lengthy Reddit post, user Zakari2112 argued Call of Duty’s 6v6 multiplayer will continue to struggle because there aren’t better games to “drive players and money away from CoD/Warzone.” The Redditor pointed out how Activision’s focus on Warzone in recent years stemmed from the meteoric rise of PUBG and its many copycats. “Warzone has more players than 6v6 and makes more money, so Warzone gets the focus,” the user added. As such, competition is exactly what’s needed to breathe new life into the 6v6 offering. “Hopefully, another 6v6 modern setting arcade shooter will come and gain enough popularity to hurt CoD’s bottom line.” Based on responses in the Reddit thread, Zakari2112’s fellow Call of Duty players couldn’t agree more. A few people remarked that recent releases from both Battlefield and Halo were, unfortunately, not up to the challenge. Meanwhile, others expressed surprise at the lack of competition Call of Duty faces in the shooter space. Asked one fan, “why are there no AAA developers trying to make a COD-style arcade FPS?” EA’s Medal of Honor received its fair share of shoutouts in the thread, too, with many hoping it’ll one day receive another mainline entry. Maybe then Call of Duty’s multiplayer would get the kick in the pants it needs.

  • How to watch Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct – Dexerto

How to watch Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct ActivisionActivision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct will take place after the Xbox Games Showcase in June. Here’s how to watch the reveal event. Late in April, Xbox unveiled plans to host the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, 2024. The announcement also confirmed the event would be followed by a Direct. While Xbox kept silent about which game would headline the stream, many labeled the next Call of Duty as the obvious answer. These guesses have since been proven correct. 2024’s Call of Duty installment, officially subtitled Black Ops 6, will take center stage during a June 9 Direct broadcast. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal date and time The Black Ops 6 Direct will premiere on June 9, 2024 after the Xbox Games Showcase, which goes live at 10:00 AM PST/1:00 PM ET/6:00 PM BST. Call of Duty’s Twitter page promised the Direct will feature a “first in-depth look at all-new gameplay and product announcements.” Xbox hasn’t specified how long the main showcase will last, so there’s no concrete time set for the Call of Duty portion of the double-feature broadcast. Those hoping to watch live will be able to by tuning into Xbox’s official YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch channels. Call of Duty’s YouTube and Twitch pages will host the Direct, as well. News about the upcoming reveal surfaced shortly after Activision formally announced Black Ops 6 with a Cerberus-style logo and art. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s 2023 reveal was staggered, with the initial reveal going live in August while multiplayer didn’t receive a closer look until October. It’s unclear if Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s unveiling will follow a similar pattern. Developer Treyarch leads production on the new entry, which uncorroborated rumors claim will revolve around the Gulf War, a United States-led conflict in the Middle East that lasted from 1990 to 1991.

  • C9 and London Spitfire CEO on potentially joining CoD franchise league – Dexerto

C9 and London Spitfire CEO on potentially joining CoD franchise league Cloud9 YouTubeCall of Duty franchised team, and with his org already have a strong presence in the United Kingdom by owning the London Spitfire, it could be a smart play. Blizzard Activision is getting ready to give Call of Duty esports a massive overhaul that would make it more in-line with the Overwatch League. While many specifics about the league’s structure are still murky to the public, organization owners are working with more details to calculate if a CDL investment will pan out. The massive price tag of $25 million for an org to take a slot in the Call of Duty league has already seen prominent brands in the scene confirm that they wouldn’t be entering next year’s competition. In Cloud9’s Sept 5 episode of “The 9’s,” host Christopher ‘Montecristo’ Mykles sat down with the orgs top brass CEO Etienne and touched on the org’s outlook for expanding into other games. “Call of Duty (is) franchising right now,” Montecristo said. “A lot of the Overwatch League teams have started to get into that. Is Cloud9 going to be another one of those?” Without breaking stride, the CEO responded with tamed enthusiasm as it seems like the door isn’t closed for a Cloud9-backed CDL team. “It’s super interesting,” Etienne said. “I can’t get specific but it’s really interesting, and I’m checking it out.” (Timestamp at 11:52 for mobile viewers) At the time of writing, there are nine confirmed teams entering the Call of Duty League based around the cities of New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Paris, Dallas, Florida, Minnesota, and two separate Los Angeles teams. But the Call of Duty scene is huge in the United Kingdom. With Cloud9 already operating the London Spitfire for the Overwatch League, it could be a natural segway to open up a team-based around that city. Overwatch League owners do have first market rights on teams in their market, after all. Since there is already a team planned for France’s capital, the English Channel rivalry series between the Paris CDL team and a potential London franchise could keep European fans locked into the new league all season. While the Cloud9 CEO was restrained in revealing any future plans that might be in the works, the prospect for a CDL team with near-exclusive rights to all of UK’s fans could be too enticing to pass up.

  • “Busted” Warzone gun has crazy TTK but there’s a big catch – Dexerto

“Busted” Warzone gun has crazy TTK but there’s a big catch ActivisionThere is a sidearm in Warzone that has a “busted” TTK, but it comes with a pretty big catch that’ll make things different for every player. For most Warzone players, building a loadout involves using Overkill so that you can have two primary weapons. This typically consists of an assault rifle, LMG, or SMG being paired with a sniper or one of the other weapon types. Yet, pistols and handguns have proven to be solid too. In fact, some pistols have been pretty broken in Warzone at times. The COR-45 is currently the biggest example of this, but it isn’t the only pistol that can rip through enemies in no time at all. According to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, the WSP Stinger is also pretty “busted” but it comes with a pretty big caveat – it won’t act the same for every player thanks to a certain attachment. Yes, that would be the akimbo set-up. “On paper, it’s crazy, crazy busted. In-game, it’s going to translate a lot more to your RNG. It’s the akimbo WSP Stinger. Akimbo obviously means hipfire and that’s not 100% accurate,” the YouTuber noted in his May 12 video. “The TTK is going to vary here but up-close this thing is nuts. At 11 meters, it has got a 520 ms TTK which is the best available there – for pistols, for SMGs, you name it.” Muzzle: Breacher Device – Barrel: HISS Short Light Barrel – Laser: XTEN Sidearm-L400 – Magazine: 32-round mag – Rear Grip: Akimbo WSP Stinger – Timestamp of 7:10 To counter-act the windward accuracy of the akimbo, your best bet is to really get up close and personal with your foes. There, as WhosImmortal adds, you won’t have to worry all that much about the RNG and bounce. As per WZRanked stats, the Stinger has fallen off a fair bit when it comes to being used in the battle royale, but this should see that change. But, if it isn’t for you, then there is always the Pulemyot 762 as that is creeping back into the thinking again.

  • “Busted” new Revolving Shotgun Warzone class is tearing through Caldera – Dexerto

“Busted” new Revolving Shotgun Warzone class is tearing through Caldera ActivisionCall of Duty Vanguard’s Einhorn Revolving Shotgun is now responsible for Warzone’s most “busted” loadout in Season 1, with players are instantly wiping out teams with this elite class setup. Shotguns have reigned supreme across multiple seasons in Warzone’s short history and now, they’re back on top of the totem pole once more in Caldera. While all eyes have been on what many are considering the “most broken” Double Barrel class this week, another menacing loadout has crept up. Instead, it’s the Einhorn Revolving Shotgun everyone should be fearful of. With the right set of attachments, just one or two quick shots are all that’s needed to blindside an enemy squad. From the optimal weapon perks to the strongest Ammo Type, here’s everything you need. “Busted” Einhorn Revolving Shotgun Warzone loadout Muzzle: M97 Full Choke – Barrel: Klauser 710mm 02B – Optic: Medium Iron Sights – Stock: VDD Hunter – Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal – Magazine: Birdshot 5 Round Cylinder – Ammo Type: Incendiary – Rear Grip: Leather Grip – Perk 1: Gung-ho – Perk 2: Quick – When it comes to building this Einhorn Revolving Shotgun loadout in Warzone, the goal is to maximize your speed. Almost every attachment boosts either movement speed, ADS speed, and even sprint speed to an extent. Starting with the most important picks, Gung-ho and Quick as your weapon Perks are essential. While the latter simply buffs your speed, the former allows you to shoot while sprinting. This means you can be running at a breakneck pace and still unload damage without having to slow down. Next comes the Birdshot 5 Round Cylinder Magazine to apply a fire-rate buff. While this pick does decrease damage slightly, something the rest of the loadout addresses, improving your rate of fire gives you an instant leg-up in every gunfight. In light of the gun’s damage, it’s worth picking the Incendiary Ammo Type to counter the effects of the Magazine. Just two shots from a close to mid-range is enough to down even fully armored targets. The remaining attachments fall in line to buff your mobility with the Revolving Shotgun in hand. As for Perks and Equipment, it’s entirely your call, but we recommend Amped just to swap weapons quickly if you run out of ammo. Brother… & I thought the double barrel akimbo shotty was busted https://t.co/3IU6TgV6Av — OpTic ZLaner (@ZLanerOFFICIAL) December 30, 2021 As more top Warzone streamers catch onto the build, it’s sure to become more popular across Caldera. It’s early days yet and even OpTic Gaming star ZLaner is calling it “busted” from the get-go. Therefore, it’s likely we’ll see this loadout nerfed in the coming weeks. For the time being, though, expect a Shotgun-heavy meta across Warzone as the Einhorn and the Double Barrel dominate the battle royale.

  • “Busted” Black Ops Cold War guns are taking over Warzone after Season 4 buffs – Dexerto

“Busted” Black Ops Cold War guns are taking over Warzone after Season 4 buffs ActivisionWith the community settling into Warzone Season 4 following another major balance pass, players have quickly grown agitated over the dominance of Black Ops Cold War guns due to recent attachment buffs. Over the past few months, Warzone’s ever-growing arsenal has seen some considerable adjustments. At the start of Season 3, the battle royale was hit with a litany of weapon changes along with hefty attachment buffs. What followed in May’s mid-season patch was the biggest change to Sniper Rifles thus far along with even more attachment boosts. Now, players are just growing accustomed to further tweaks in the new Season 4 update. Following the trend, certain attachments were improved once again. Throughout this period of frequent change, players spotted one common factor: Black Ops Cold War guns were almost always the target of buffs. As a result, many Call of Duty players argue we’ve now reached a point where “Cold War guns overshadow” their less-powerful Modern Warfare equivalents. When Cold War first integrated with Warzone, it was described as a way to expand the game’s weapons list. Instead, players believe Treyarch’s gun set has become “busted” and outright “better” than Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare set. Rather than providing alternatives, Warzone’s focus is “currently on Cold War,” according to Reddit user ‘Watsoncp1.’ “We all love Modern Warfare, but it’s just the natural progression here. Modern Warfare will be sunsetted in the future, we should all expect this.” In a detailed breakdown, ‘aliarrrr’ outlined how the aforementioned attachment changes are the reason behind this disparity. From Cold War Magazines not penalizing movement like Modern Warfare’s, to various Stocks simply being “miles better” for Cold War guns, buffs have added up over the months. “Cold War weapons are better than their Modern Warfare equivalents because Cold War attachments are busted,” they said. In a separate comparison of Cold War barrels, ‘pathmt’ showcased a drastic difference in recoil between guns. “Go ahead and tell me this is even remotely balanced,” they said, highlighting the FARA 83’s dominance over the Grau. “Cold War guns harshly lowered the Time To Kill and made Modern Warfare guns obsolete,” another player chimed in. “This new barrel buff only worsens the issue, giving them not only faster TTK, but also better recoil control.” Ultimately, it’s clear that Cold War weapons have seen more love in recent patches than Modern Warfare’s. Perhaps future improvements are on the way to bring them back in line. Or maybe we are headed towards a ‘sunsetting’ update that rotates them out entirely. Only time will tell but as we draw closer to Vanguard in 2021, another huge set of weapons is on the way to further complicate the meta.

  • Burger King gets massive Modern Warfare 3 makeover to celebrate new CoD – Dexerto

Burger King gets massive Modern Warfare 3 makeover to celebrate new CoD MarsikBatman, ActivisionBurger King has partnered with Activision Blizzard yet again, this time going all out with Modern Warfare 3 decorations at a restaurant in Puerto Rico. Activision and Burger King aren’t exactly strangers, having partnered for Diablo 4 promo earlier this year. For a limited time, Burger King Japan sold a Spicy Tomato Double Whopper inspired by Diablo 4 villain Lilith, the Daughter of Hatred. With Modern Warfare 3 launching in just a few days, it was only a matter of time before the marketing campaign kicked into high gear. And it should come as no surprise that Activision decided to go all out. In fact, fans who frequent a certain restaurant in Puerto Rico should have no problem encountering promo materials bearing Captain Price’s face. Burger King Modern Warfare 3 promo is quite the sight As spotted by Twitter/X user MarsikBatman, a Burger King restaurant in Puerto Rico is covered in MW3 decorations. The building’s outer walls look painted in the game’s signature red, black, and white color scheme, for one. Even the Burger King logo has adopted a distinctive black and red palette. And right below the BK sign sits a giant poster of the Modern Warfare 3 cover art. Photos from inside the establishment additionally reveal tables coated in Call of Duty-inspired tac maps, along with MW3 posters splayed across the walls and windows. Needless to say, the hype is steadily building for Modern Warfare 3, with or without Burger King’s help. Some fans may be on board more than others, though, specifically since many felt let down by the early access campaign. Fortunately, players will be able to draw their own conclusions soon enough. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hits launches digitally and at retail on November 10.

  • Where is Building 21 in DMZ? How to access, location, rewards in Warzone 2 – Dexerto

Where is Building 21 in DMZ? How to access, location, rewards in Warzone 2 ActivisionWarzone’s DMZ Season 1 Reloaded introduced a plethora of new content and bug fixes, but also announced the imminent introduction of Building 21. So, what is Building 21 and where can players find it? We’ve got all the answers here. DMZ is a fantastic way to explore the Warzone 2 Al Mazrah map without the threat of gas or other players, to an extent. It allows fans to loot, and complete missions and is widely regarded as an extremely popular game mode. Now, announced in the Season 1 Reloaded update, players will be getting a brand new location to delve into called Building 21. While that’s exciting, it’s also a difficult location to find, especially since the developers have been keeping the details tightly sealed. Nevertheless, we’ve got everything currently known regarding the location, details, and when to expect Building 21. What is Building 21? Building 21 is a location out of Al-Mazrah that was released into DMZ, as part of the post-Season 1 Reloaded update drip feed of new content. Building 21 is among “the deadliest areas of DMZ”, meaning players should expect a large challenge and an introduction of a good treasure hunt for keycards allowing access to the building itself. Where is Building 21 in DMZ? Building 21 is located outside of Al Mazrah, as a different map, you can pick when going into DMZ. Access to this new map requires the player to possess the Building 21 access card. Said card can be obtained from orange containers in Al Mazrah or can be looted from downed planes when your team controls SAM sites placed around the map. Extract with the Building 21 access card to unlock it on the “choose location” screen. What’s great about this is the fact that only the party leader has to have it, and you can bring 2 of your friends who do not with you into Building 21. Currently, there is also a possible bug that does not consume the access card, meaning that players are able to launch Building 21 infiltration an infinite number of times. What’s the difference between Building 21 and Al Mazrah? Building 21 contains an exclusive new boss, a new weapon that can be unlocked for multiplayer and Warzone 2 by extracting it out, tons of new loot, and a new weapon case awarding skins and keychains separate from those you get in Al Mazrah’s weapon case. Building 21 provides completely different gameplay than Al Mazrah by being almost exclusively close quarters. Weapons that are normally regarded as weak become exceptionally powerful here, especially guns from the shotgun category. PvP engagements are also way more common in Building 21 than in Al Mazrah, so consider teaming up with some friends or strangers to have the best chance at the juicy rewards.

  • Buggy Warzone is causing console players to consider “retirement” – Dexerto

Buggy Warzone is causing console players to consider “retirement” Activision / PexelsCall of Duty: Warzone’s console players, across Xbox, PS4, and PS5, have truly been struggling with the new Caldera map’s performance. And it’s gotten so bad that some are considering ‘retiring’ from the game and infighting has begun. Although Call of Duty’s history lies with console, some feel that its future lies with PC. Warzone is likely the biggest CoD game of all time and its most highly anticipated season, Pacific, was nearly unplayable on last and current-gen consoles. While there is a temporary workaround to help gamers survive the crashes, that hasn’t stopped the complaints. Now, devoted console players are considering stepping away from the title entirely. In one example, a Redditor by the name of ‘c7xss’ showed frustrations over the notorious FOV slider (or absence of it). And their reaction was simple: “I don’t know how much longer I can play on console.” Warzone’s console players consider quitting due to Pacific problems While c7xss wasn’t complaining specifically about bugs, they’re just one of many frustrated at the moment. Some players want FOV sliders, some want fewer crashes, and many are at their wit’s end. And c7xss isn’t the only one contemplating quitting either (whether they were joking or not). So many console players are fed up that the Warzone community is internally fighting over “retirement speeches.” Console Warzone players retiring en masse? In a since-deleted post, one user complained that the Warzone subreddit should “stop with your retirement speeches.” But they were immediately shut down, with many explaining that the issue isn’t retirement speeches – it’s the state of the game causing them. As ‘ultimatenormie77’ explained, “the game is literally unplayable on all consoles and that isn’t even an exaggeration. Old gen consoles will brick up, the Series S can’t even render any trees properly, and the SX and PS5 drop to like 10FPS consistently enough to make the game impossible to enjoy.” While other console players claim they’ve been able to play just fine, many agreed the game is buggier than ever. It remains unclear when optimization will come, though, as Raven Software are apparently still “investigating” the issues.

  • Bugged Warzone contract trick lets you level weapons “insanely fast” – Dexerto

Bugged Warzone contract trick lets you level weapons “insanely fast” ActivisionIf you’re looking for the fastest way to level up your Warzone weapons then you’re in the right place. Thanks to a bugged contract trick, players are able to rank up guns extremely quick. Since Warzone’s transition to the Pacific, the community has provided many tricks to help raise your K/D, create the best loadouts, and more. However, this latest trick is allowing players to use a contract bug to gain extensive amounts of XP from just doing one in a match. IceManIsaac reveals Warzone contract bug for insane XP In a YouTube video, Warzone content creator IceManIsaac with a little help from Twitter user ‘iamthedugas’ breaks down this XP exploit. In order to make this work, you need to find and complete a Top Secret Contract. This includes a bounty, recon, supply, or most wanted contract. You need to complete a couple during a single match and get your bonus to 100%. Once you get to that milestone all contracts completed are reportedly rewarding players with at least 2,500 XP, enough for a full level. However, IceManIsaac was made aware that when completing a bounty, three out of four times it was bugged. This resulted in no experience points being rewarded. But, there were some runs where the player would get over 3,500 for a regular supply run. In even better news for players, this can be combined with double XP tokens to earn at an even faster rate. This can help get Vanguard guns to level 70 in a breeze. While there is a bit of inconsistency when it comes to these contracts, one thing is certain, they are broken and handing out free XP to Warzone players.

  • Buffed Warzone 2 LMG deletes players in Season 5 with insane TTK – Dexerto

Buffed Warzone 2 LMG deletes players in Season 5 with insane TTK ActivisionIf you’re looking for a new gun to run in Warzone 2 Season 5, well, you might want to consider an LMG that received a buff recently and deletes enemies. The Season 5 update for Warzone 2 has really allowed some previously underused weapons to come to the forefront and lead the way – replacing some of the long-standing dominant choices like the Cronen Squall. As it stands, players have been making the switch to the Taq-V, Kastov 762, and Tempus Razorback after they all escaped being adjusted in the recent round of buffs and nerfs. However, if you’re looking to use a gun that did get tweaked in Season 5, well, you’ll want to consider the Raal LMG. Its new headshot multiplier lets it delete enemies, even if the recoil can still be a little tricky at times. Best Raal LMG loadout for Warzone 2 Season 5 That’s right, the Raal is, once again, a viable option in Warzone 2. Stats guru WhosImmortal highlighted it in his video on the best loadouts for the new season shortly after the update dropped. “It got buffed, they buffed the headshot multiplier for some reason so now this thing fries even more. You just gotta land your shots,” the YouTuber said. “And that’s tough because there is a lot of recoil here.” So, his setup is focused on combating that and making things a bit smoother sailing when you use the Raal. That’s why he opts for the 21’ EXF Rhino Barrel, XRK Dune underbarrel grip, and Stip-40 Rear Grip. Muzzle: Nilsound 90 – Barrel: 21’ EXF Rhino Barrel – Underbarrel: XRK Dune Grip – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip – As noted, even though the Raal is a viable option these days, it is still going rather under the radar. According to WZRanked stats, it’s hardly getting any interest from players despite the buff. Though, that does mean it’s ripe for using and getting ahead of the curve. So, give it a shot.

  • Buffed MW3 SMG is “better than ever” in Warzone but it’s still ignored – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 SMG is “better than ever” in Warzone but it’s still ignored ActivisionThere is a Modern Warfare 3 SMG that is “better than ever” in Warzone after it’s received some buffs, but some players are still ignoring it. While several guns from Modern Warfare 2 have been highlighted as competitive options recently, it’s the fresher weapons from Modern Warfare 3 that still rule the roost in Warzone. Well, that is until the Season 4 Reloaded update comes along anyway, as that could shake things up in a big way. Even though MW3 guns have been taking over the meta, there are still a few powerful options that are being overlooked. One of those, according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, is the Rival-9, which has received a number of buffs across the last few updates. The YouTuber highlighted the SMG in his June 22 video, believing it to be “better than ever” in the battle royale. “It’s sort of been a sleeper build in the background. It was able to compete a little bit but it wasn’t anything all that crazy. Well, in its current state, it’s better than it has ever been,” he said, noting that the SMG is competitive in the first SMG damage range – up to 12 meters. Yet, it shines when you get into fights around the 20-metre mark. “This thing is primed for sniper support and it’s just a more versatile SMG (than its rivals).” Barrel: Rival-C Clearshot barrel – Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop – Optic: Nydar Model 2023 – Magazine: 50-round drum – Ammunition: 9mm High Grain rounds – WhosImmortal added that the SMG is a very “viable” option in-game right now, however, players are still very much overlooking it. As per WZRanked stats, the Rival-9 clocks in as the 44th most popular gun in the game, lagging behind some MW2 options as well. Yet, it is very clearly a top option that punches above its weight if you follow the YouTuber’s loadout.

  • Buffed MW3 rifle is meta in Warzone again but it is still slept-on in Season 5 Reloaded – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 rifle is meta in Warzone again but it is still slept-on in Season 5 Reloaded ActivisionOne of Warzone’s previously most popular battle rifles is meta again after a buff, however, some fans are still sleeping on the MW3 gun. Over the last few months, as Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 have gone through different updates, some of the most-used and deadliest weapons have fallen off the meta radar. When it comes to the battle royale, this regularly happens in the blink of an eye. The SOA Subverter falls into that too. The Modern Warfare 3 battle rifle was a top meta option during Season 2 Reloaded and a little bit afterward thanks to its damage profiles. As noted, it has fallen off since then and not is being used in Warzone whatsoever. However, Season 5 Reloaded looks to be changing that. The Subverter received a small buff in the new update, with its max damage range increased from 20.57m to 25.4m. That buff has come at the same time as Warzone guru WhosImmortal highlighting it as the best battle rifle option in the game. “The Battle Rifle category is pretty competitive. The Bas-B is really good, the Sidewinder is underrated but the Subverter is the most consistent across the board,” he said in his August 21 video. Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Barrel: Dozer-90 Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Paracord Grip – Stock: Motion-V2 Heavy Stock – Magazine: 50-round drum – Timestamp of 7:38 WhosImmortal doubled down on the Subverter’s consistency being it’s biggest asset and noted that it has a “clean” iron sight. So, you don’t have to waste an attachment there if you get to grips with the gun. WZRanked stats back up the fact that it is slept-on. According to them, the battle rifle is the 20th most popular weapon. That puts it outside the top meta options by a fair way. So, if you’re looking for something new this season, return to this old classic. It won’t let you down.

  • Buffed MW3 LMG is actually Warzone’s best gun but it’s still ignored – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 LMG is actually Warzone’s best gun but it’s still ignored ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s most underrated LMGs has an “absurd” TTK in Warzone, and it is the best primary weapon right now. Over the last few months, the Warzone meta has been dominated by just a few guns. The likes of the KAR98K, Superi 46, and Striker have reigned supreme, but they’re starting to fall away a bit. The Season 5 update for Warzone has reinforced that shake-up too, with some underrated options now rising up. The VEL 46, BAS-B, and M4 have started creeping into the meta thinking, challenging the STG44, Static-HV, and even the RPK. While the RPK’s popularity has stemmed from the JAK Cataclysm conversion kit – which turns into a one-shot sniper – there is an LMG that dominates as intended, and that’s the TAQ Eradicator. “Before, when we hit the 42-metre range, it started to fall off a lot more. Now, it is far and away the most effective primary in the game,” Warzone guru WhosImmortal said in his August 4 video. “This TTK is absolutely absurd, and it’s also a ridiculously easy weapon to use. It’s the best of both worlds, easy to use, quick to kill. You combine that and you’re going to fry everyone.” Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Barrel: Conquer-70 Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Paracord Grip – Stock: Tacverte Core Stock – Ammunition: 7.62x51mm High Grain – The YouTuber doubled down on his claim that the LMG is now the “number one meta weapon” in Warzone, adding that it is “absolutely nuts” right now. Despite that, other players haven’t caught on just yet. As per WZRanked stats, the Eradicator sits as the 15th most popular gun, way behind the likes of the RPK and STG44. WhosImmortal isn’t the only Warzone guru to highlight the LMG recently either. IceManIsaac has also sung its praises, saying the Eradicator is a “laserbeam” with a “phenomenal” TTK. So, it’s about time everyone else jumped on board.

  • Buffed MW3 LMG outguns STG44 with rapid Warzone TTK in Season 5 – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 LMG outguns STG44 with rapid Warzone TTK in Season 5 ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s most slept-on Light Machine Guns is creeping into the meta in Season 5 as it has a “phenomenal” TTK after being buffed. The Season 5 update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone has opened up some interesting options for the meta. The dominant Superi 46 has been taken down a few notches, while the brand-new STG44 and Static-HV have already jumped into the meta conversation. They’re not the only ones, however, as the new update brought some of the previously most slept-on Modern Warfare 3 guns into the spotlight. That includes the TAQ Eradicator which, at times, has gotten some love from players and Warzone experts alike. However, after its damage buff in Season 5, the LMG is going to creep into the thinking once again. Both IceManIsaac and WhosImmortal have already highlighted the Eradicator as one of the new go-to guns in the battle royale. The main point of praise? The LMG’s newfound power and control. IceManIsaac pointed out that, in fights above 35 meters, the gun has a much quicker TTK than both the Holger 26 and STG44. “The TAQ Eradicator is absolutely going to be meta,” he said. WhosImmortal didn’t dig into the stats like IceManIsaac, but noted the Eradicator is “so, so good right now.” He also claimed it is a “laserbeam” with a “phenomenal” TTK. The two Warzone experts only differ on one attachment right now and thats the ammunition. WhosImmortal favors the 7.62x51mm High Grain rounds while IceManIsaac goes for the 7.62x51mm High Velocity rounds. It’s just a personal preference. As per WZRanked stats, the TAQ Eradicator sits as the 25th most popular weapon right now. However, with the two of them highlighting as a possible meta option, that will only increase before long. So, get ahead of the curve and start using the LMG now. You won’t regret it.

  • Buffed MW3 LMG is now one of the best weapons in multiplayer – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 LMG is now one of the best weapons in multiplayer ActivisionModern Warfare 3’s LMGs aren’t used too often, but following a huge buff in Season 3 Reloaded it’s time to give the DG-58 LSW a shot with it now being one of the best weapons in multiplayer. Most of the LMGs in MW3 aren’t that good. While they see plenty of use in Warzone where long-range damage and larger magazines are meta, this doesn’t apply in multiplayer where handling and mobility are king. The Pulemyot 762 with the JAK Annihilator Bullpup Kit is viable but even then, most assault rifles and battle rifles outclass it. Outside of very specific circumstances and positions, it just isn’t worth using most LMGs in multiplayer. However, Season 3 Reloaded saw the DG-58 LSW receive some huge buffs which have made it a real contender. These buffs saw the LMG’s recoil reduced by 13% and it was given the ability to kill in four shots. This results in a new TTK of just 255 ms which ranks amongst the best in Modern Warfare 3. Here is the DG-58 LSW loadout you’ll want to use to dominate multiplayer: Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Stock: Recoil Reduction Buttplate – Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Comb: FSS Last Stand Comb – Although the DG-58 LSW is extremely accurate and outguns most other weapons it is still an LMG. Even with this loadout that greatly improves mobility and handling, this heavy-duty weapon still aims in slower than almost any assault rifle build. You don’t want to run and gun with this. Instead, the DG-58 LSW is best used to lock down lanes and control power positions. If used right, this LMG is undoubtedly one of the best guns in multiplayer right now and is well worth using.

  • Buffed MW3 LMG has one of Warzone’s fastest TTKs but its barely used in Season 5 – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 LMG has one of Warzone’s fastest TTKs but its barely used in Season 5 ActivisionA buffed Modern Warfare 3 LMG has one of the best TTKs in Warzone Season 5, but it is still being ignored by many players. In the original days of Verdansk, LMGs were largely ignored in Warzone. They were slow, bulky weapons, with recoil that bounced all over the place. However, that changed before the end of Modern Warfare. Since then, the larger damage dealers have become a key part of the meta. You can’t drop into a game these days without facing the TAQ Eradicator or DG-58 LSW. However, you should also be coming up against the TAQ Evolvere. Warzone guru WhosImmortal highlighted the LMG in his August 13 video, noting it’s buff in the Season 5 update has made it a really competitive option. After its buff, the TAQ Evolvere has a TTK of around 750 ms in fights up to 36 meters. “That TTK is basically equivalent to the TAQ Eradicator, while having crazy good mobility for an LMG. Its strafe speed with certain attachments is ridiculously good. It kind of throws enemies off and ends up having one of the best TTKs with one of the best recoil patterns,” he said. Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Barrel: LRF Righteous Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Kimura Seraphic Vertical – Optic: Nydar Model 2023 – Magazine: 50-round 762 Belt – The YouTuber noted that the LMG is “surprisingly agile” after its buff. “The buff wasn’t super, super significant but technically it is better than it was before,” he added. “This thing is actually one of the best choices in the entire game.” As per WZRanked stats, the LMG sits outside the meta as the 26th most popular gun. That’s behind the likes of the Lachmann Shroud and VEL 46, which have also been highlighted as off-meta options. Give it a go and you’ll be presently surprised.

  • Buffed MW3 AR has “crazy” Warzone TTK after Season 4 Reloaded buff – Dexerto

Buffed MW3 AR has “crazy” Warzone TTK after Season 4 Reloaded buff ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s most popular assault rifles is “broken” in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded after being buffed, but it’s not completely meta just yet. When the Season 4 Reloaded update was announced, plenty of Warzone players were excited for the KAR98K nerf that they’d been promised by the devs. The rifle was finally given aim assist properties to bring it in line with snipers, and also received a damage nerf. However, the update has also had bigger changes on the Warzone meta as a whole. Previously slept on guns like the TAQ Evolvere and Rapp H now have some of the best Time to Kills in the battle royale. Those two LMGs didn’t actually receive a buff in the update, but the MTZ 762 did, and according to Warzone guru Metaphor, it’s “broken” with a “crazy” TTK of its own. “It has a tiny bit of recoil, but if you master it, you can go crazy,” the YouTuber said in his July 1 video. “It is absolutely insane. The damage it does is crazy, you can take people out across the map with this thing. Close range it’s pretty good, mid-range it’s perfect. It is honestly just an insane weapon.” Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator – Barrel: MTZ-Precision Blackthorn Barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Magazine: 7.62×51 30-round mag – The battle rifle did receive significant buffs in the recent update, with its Max Damage Range being increased to 25.4 meters, up from 19.05 and it’s Near-Mid Damage Range being increased to 48.26 meters, up from 40.64. As noted, despite the buff, the MTZ 762 isn’t wholly meta just yet. According to WZRanked stats, it is the 15th most popular gun in the game right now. That clearly needs to change, though, as its one of the absolute top-tier guns in Warzone – players just don’t know it yet.

  • Buffed MW2 SMG is “better than ever” in Warzone Season 5 – Dexerto

Buffed MW2 SMG is “better than ever” in Warzone Season 5 ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s most slept-on SMGs is “better than ever” in Warzone after a buff in Season 5, but it is still being pretty ignored. Modern Warfare 2 weapons have had a hard time of things when it comes to Warzone’s integration with Modern Warfare 3. Sure, some MW2 guns have had their moment in the spotlight, but that never typically lasts all that long. Take the RPK with its JAK Cataclysm kit as an example, or even the VEL 46. The LMG turned into a one-shot sniper, quickly dominated the meta, and then got nerfed. The VEL was highlighted as being a top option at the start of Season 5, but it has now dropped off a fair bit. However, if you want to use another MW2 gun then you shouldn’t overlook the Vaznev-9K for much longer. As Warzone guru WhosImmortal points out, the SMG has a TTK that is comparable to meta options like the Superi 46, Striker 9, and FJX Horus. The YouTuber added that the SMG is “better than ever” as a result, even if players are sleeping on it. “Once you fully build this thing out, its effective damage range for the fastest TTK is very good for an SMG. It’s relatively easy to use and clean iron sights,” he further noted. Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator – Barrel: KAS-1 254mm – Underbarrel: Paracord Grip – Ammunition: 9mm High Grain – Magazine: 45-round mag – As noted, it has been difficult for MW2 guns to gain and even sustain popularity. The Vaznev is one of those that has just never made an impact. That is reflected in WZRanked’s stats, as they have it as the 50th most popular gun in Warzone. Clearly, it is much better than those stats suggest. So, give it a go and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It is ultra-competitive.

  • Buffed MW2 AR actually dominates in Warzone as SMG – Dexerto

Buffed MW2 AR actually dominates in Warzone as SMG ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s assault rifles is proving to be a top SMG option in Warzone, and it’s all thanks to a few recent buffs. Over the last few years, Warzone players have been able to adapt some of their favorite weapons in big ways – completely changing how they’re run in the battle royale. We’ve seen snipers becoming shotguns, pistols turning into snipers, and so on. One of the most popular changes, though, has been taking an assault rifle and turning it into an SMG. We’ve seen this when the AR in question has had its early damage ranges buffed or bullet velocity increased, and it has led to some interesting builds at times. Well, Warzone guru WhosImmortal has highlighted a new AR-turned-SMG in the battle royale, and it comes in the form of the Modern Warfare 2 favorite M13C. “The M13C is surprisingly good as well. This thing’s close range TTK is very, very competitive,” he said in his June 16 video. The YouTuber noted that his build is all about increasing movement speed and bullet velocity, which is exactly what you want in a top-tier SMG. He added that the AR is a “slept-on” sniper support option, but it is “surprisingly good” when built like SMG. However, WhosImmortal is keen to use an optic rather than the M13C’s iron sight, so you’re probably going to have to use one of those as a crutch. Muzzle: Scratch 20-L Suppressor – Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip – Optic: MK.3 Reflector – Ammunition: Blackout High Grain – Magazine: 45-round mag – Timestamp of 7:50 The M13C is in this position to dominate as an SMG because of buffs to it’s damage ranges and multipliers in a few of the previous updates. The Modern Warfare 2 AR wasn’t touched in Season 4, but quietly went under the knife in Season and Season 3 Reloaded. It hasn’t exactly set the world alight since those buffs, with WZRanked still having as the 84th most popular gun, but it clearly packs a punch if WhosImmortal is showing it some love.

  • Buffed Modern Warfare 3 AR is Warzone’s most ‘OP’ weapon – Dexerto

Buffed Modern Warfare 3 AR is Warzone’s most ‘OP’ weapon ActivisionThere is a Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifle that has repeatedly been buffed in Warzone, and now it’s the most “overpowered” gun in the battle range. Ever since the Season 4 Reloaded update, Warzone’s meta has been in a bit of flux. The previously dominant KAR98K and Superi 46 loadout has, somewhat, fallen away, and we’ve got a few Modern Warfare 2 guns coming into the thinking. At the end of the day, however, Modern Warfare 3 guns still rule the roost. They’re the most powerful options in the battle royale, with the likes of the MTZ-556, FJX Horus, and Striker just starting to lead the way. According to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, though, it’s the Holger 556 that should be looked at a bit more by players. “This thing has been buffed for numerous updates in a row now to the point, where, it is better than ever and it is absolutely frying,” the YouTuber said in his July 9 video. “The Holger 556 is a laser beam and it feels so so strong. Despite the fact it doesn’t have a great magazine size, it is perfectly viable in trios and quads even when you’re team fighting because of just how good this TTK is.” Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: Chrios-6 Match – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Magazine: 40-round mag – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – The YouTuber points out that you can also use attachments like the Corios Eagleseye 2.5x optic if you want a bit more range too. “This thing absolutely beams, melts, it does it all right now,” he concluded. As per WZRanked stats, the Holger isn’t totally slept on as it ranks as the seventh most popular gun in the game right now. It is clearly a super deadly option and should start creeping up even further, especially as future updates drop.

  • Buffed LMG & SMG are Warzone’s fastest-killing loadout in Season 3 Reloaded – Dexerto

Buffed LMG & SMG are Warzone’s fastest-killing loadout in Season 3 Reloaded ActivisionThere’s a new fastest-killing loadout in Warzone after Modern Warfare 3’s Season 3 Reloaded update, and it contains an LMG and fan-favorite SMG. When it comes to picking your ideal loadout in Warzone, there are plenty of different ways to go about it. Some players go for what’s comfortable – weapons that have been around for a while and have easy recoil patterns – while others are quick to hop on the newest trend. The latter of these change quite regularly with weapon balancing updates, and that has been the case in Season 3 Reloaded. The mid-season update saw popular weapons like the BP50, MCW, MTZ-556, and DG-56 all being nerfed in different ways. That opened the door for other weapons to step up, and according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, the DG-58 LSW and WSP-9 are the perfect guns to pair now after all the changes. Obviously, the DG-58 is the newest top dog when it comes to long-range guns, as it edges out the Holger 26. The two guns have an identical TTK in fights up to 50 meters, but the DG just edges ahead with a TTK of 917 ms. “The DG, especially with its various attachments that it has, is just so lethal,” the YouTuber said. “It’s a laser beam and it hits as shown here. So, you’ve got your long-range TTK covered with the DG-58.” Its partner, the WSP-9, shouldn’t be a new thing to any longtime Warzone player. The SMG has had its moments in the spotlight before, but following the Season 3 Reloaded update, it’s deleting enemies with a 654 TTK and has an “insane” increased damage range. DG-58 LSW Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: Wudi Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Ammunition: 5.8×42 High Grain round – WSP-9 Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator – Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop – Optic: MK.3 Reflector – Ammunition: 9mm High Grain rounds – Magazine: 50-round mag – “You pair these two together and you are going to melt everyone and everything,” WhosImmortal added. The two guns have already vaulted into the top three on WZRanked, with the WSP-9 standing atop the mountain in first place. So, while they’re an excellent option, they’re not exactly under the radar.

  • Buffed Cold War gun dominates Warzone Season 4 despite Vanguard weapon meta – Dexerto

Buffed Cold War gun dominates Warzone Season 4 despite Vanguard weapon meta ActivisionWarzone expert WhosImmortal has outlined a buffed Cold War SMG that is back to its best in Season 4, claiming the MAC-10’s recent strengthening makes it viable despite the Vanguard weapon meta. The MAC-10 will be familiar to any longer-term players of Warzone, with the Black Ops Cold War gun being among the game’s very best SMGs for some time during the Treyarch title’s life-cycle. However, like many other weapons, it has fallen away in terms of popularity, with the majority of most-used guns now being from this year’s Call of Duty: Vanguard. Currently, it sits at a respectable if unspectacular pick-rate of just over 1.8% but, according to Warzone YouTuber and expert WhosImmortal, it could well be a dominant weapon again. Warzone Season 4 buffs make MAC-10 the ideal “sniper support” weapon Outlining his views in a recent YouTube video, he stated that recent buffs and nerfs mean it is as viable as it has been in a long-time, potentially even capable of challenging the long-established superiority of Vanguard weapons like the MP40 and H4 Blixen. “While we saw a lot of changes primarily to Vanguard guns,” he explained, “one weapon change went under the radar if you will. The MAC-10 actually got a slight range buff. Which was kind of out of the blue considering the MAC-10 really is not a formidable meta weapon.” However, going through the data, the MAC-10’s medium-range strength makes it the most suitable sniper support in the game. While you’ll still get outgunned by Vanguard weapons within 10-meter gunfights, beyond that the MAC-10 will more than hold its own. WhosImmortal even outlined his go-to set up to make the most of the Season 4 buff, detailed below: Muzzle: Recoil Booster – Barrel: 320mm SA Shrouded – Optic: Slate Reflector – Stock: Removed Stock – Perk: Acrobatic – Perk 2: Quick – Rear Grip: Taped Grip – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags – Ammunition: Lengthened – Underbarrel: M1915 Steady – The only thing left for players to decide is which sniper they want to take in the secondary slot. Currently, that likely comes down to the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle or the Modern Warfare HDR, which packs more of a punch but doesn’t have the same speed. With the MAC-10 in the primary slot, though, you’ll have the perfect weapon to finish anyone off who proves too much for your sniper.

  • Brutal Warzone glitch makes Cold War attachment visible through walls – Dexerto

Brutal Warzone glitch makes Cold War attachment visible through walls Treyarch/swiftler79A new glitch has been discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone that makes Black Ops Cold War’s flashlight attachment (and potentially others) able to be seen through walls and doors. Warzone’s launch within the confines of Black Ops Cold War Cold War has been met with a lot of controversy from players. Now, with guns from both BOCW and Modern Warfare being included, some unwanted glitches have surfaced. The flashlight attachment in BOCW can be pretty useful, unlocked for guns at a relatively low level, and do their job at highlighting enemy players from a fair distance away Because of this, the flashlight has become a staple on maps such as Cartel where enemies are often hiding in the tall grass near the B flag on domination. Furthermore, some have been using it on their weapons in Warzone as well, not to mention the ground-loot guns that come with it attached. You would think too, that due to Warzone’s map sizes, the flashlight would be a great go-to attachment, and that could be the case if it wasn’t for some brutal glitches. As demonstrated on Warzone Reddit page, a player was waiting inside of a room in a building on Verdansk and could see an enemy’s flashlight literally clip through the door. With the opponent’s position given away without them even realizing it, the player was able to blow them away the second the door opened, getting the down before moving in for the kill. It does seem like the enemy player may have shown up briefly on the Redditor’s map just before they opened the door, but if they didn’t notice, the fact that the attachment gave away their position could be enough to push people away from the flashlight. So far, it seems like this bug is only affecting Mounted Flashlight, but it’s possible that it could end up applying to the Nightstalker Spotlight and the Tiger Team Spotlight as well, since those offer the same type of effect. Of course, this could just end up being as the developers intended, because certain attachments, such as Modern Warfare’s 5mw and Tac Lasers, can be seen from far away. So far, there hasn’t been any comment from the devs on the bug, so be sure to be on the lookout for it in the patch notes fore future updates.

BruceDropEmOff puts $20K bounty on racist CoD player & wants to find him IRL Activision/BruceDropEmOffRecently-signed Kick streamer BruceDropEmOff is putting a $20K bounty on a Call of Duty player who was racist to him and urged his fans to find out where he lives. BruceDropEmOff has a new home on Kick following multiple bans on rival platform Twitch. During his first Kick broadcast, Bruce began playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and a player in his lobby kept bombarding him with racist abuse. After being called an assortment of racial slurs and even making some offensive remarks of his own, Bruce had enough and put a massive bounty on the CoD player. BruceDropEmOff issues $20K bounty to find racist CoD player In a clip that’s been causing a major discussion on Reddit, Bruce snapped at the racist player and encouraged his viewers to dox the player. “Hey, somebody find this guy! Somebody find this * where he lives!” Bruce rallied. “Whoever finds any information, I got $20,000 for you.” The player making the racist comments, however, wasn’t threatened by the bounty and instead said he would “beat the f**k” out of him. As the game continued, Bruce and the other player kept trading racially charged insults. The Kick streamer kept making disparaging comments about his rival being Mexican. Eventually, the game ended in a disastrous 0-6 score with Bruce not getting a single kill, but the streamer did issue an apology to his Mexican viewers for how he acted. It’s not known if anyone in the chat actually found any information about the racist player or if Bruce will pay up, but such actions would certainly not be allowed on a platform such as Twitch which prohibits users from encouraging doxxing.

  • “Broken” Warzone sniper loadout is deleting players with one-shot kills – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone sniper loadout is deleting players with one-shot kills ActivisionCall of Duty YouTuber IceManIsaac has revealed a Vanguard sniper loadout that is so “broken” that it might need to be patched seeing as you can one-shot players to the head and chest. The Warzone Pacific season 3 update brought about the biggest shake-up to the meta that the battle royale has seen in quite some time, with sniper rifles finally going under the knife and receiving nerfs. Both the Kar98 and Swiss K31 – which have dominated the meta for well over a year – have fallen by the wayside as players have started gravitating towards other long-range weapons. The likes of the ZRG 20mm, 3-line Rifle, and AX-50 sniper have gotten some shine as a result, but the Type 99 from Vanguard might be the pick of the bunch as its damage is currently “broken” and can one-shot enemies to the chest. Warzone guru IceManIsaac highlighted the sniper in his May 1 video, revealing that the Type 99 can deal 300 damage to both the head and the chest within 44 meters. While some players might want a bit more range from their sniper, there isn’t another option that matches the Type 99’s power and ADS speed, and he believes it should get addressed by the devs before long. “This is broken, this will get patched,” the YouTuber said. “This will wreak havoc on Rebirth and Caldera, this is not intentional.” There is no broken attachment that makes the sniper so OP this time around, given that it is a pretty standard build using the MX Silencer, Shiraishi 712mm barrel, the Klauser 5-round mags, and Vital perk. Broken Type 99 sniper loadout in Warzone Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Shiraishi 712mm Sniper – Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x – Stock: Removed Stock – Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip – Magazine: 8mm Klauser 5-round mags – Ammo: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Fabric Grip – Perk 1: Vital – Perk 2: On-Hand – Why the Type 99 just has busted damage is anyone’s guess, but it’s not like we haven’t seen it happen in Warzone before. Whenever a weapon gets too far out of line, the developers typically do reign it back in before long. Though, who knows when that will be this time around.

  • “Broken” Warzone SMG deletes enemies faster than meta AR’s – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone SMG deletes enemies faster than meta AR’s ActivisionThere’s a “broken” SMG in Warzone that packs a punch like an assault rifle and is being pretty overlooked by battle royale players. Before Modern Warfare 2 gives way to Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, the devs have still managed to roll out a few changes that have affected both multiplayer and Warzone. In the case of the latter, these changes have shaken up what was once a stale meta. Some dominant guns – like the TR-76 Geist, ISO 45, and Lachmann 762 have fallen away just a little bit. That’s allowed others to rise up and, in some cases, reclaim their previous standing in the meta. One gun that has always been on the fringes of the meta, regardless of changes, is the PDSW – or the P90 to some. The hard-hitting SMG has always been a solid choice, however, it might now be a fully-fledged meta option. Best PDSW loadout in Warzone Season 6 Why? Well, Warzone guru SallyIsADog highlighted it in his October 30 video, claiming that it is the new “broken” gun in the battle royale because of its deadly fire rate. “When you pop on the barrel and silencer that I have, it almost doubles the P90’s bullet velocity, making this almost hit scan,” he said. “It has better bullet velocity than any base AR, it is up there with the LMGs – the only issue is it’s still an SMG and it’s not meant for long-range.” The barrel and silencer in question are the 17’ Corvus Prorange and EXF Huntress-90, which go alongside the Aim OP-V4, FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel, and Stip-40 Grip to make up the rest of the loadout. Muzzle: 17’ Corvus Prorange – Barrel: EXF Huntress-90 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 – Sight: Aim OP-V4 – Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip – One of the other bonuses of the PDSW build is that it barely moves anyway, so you don’t have to worry too much about the recoil messing things up. As noted, given that the PDSW has consistently been on the fringes of the meta, everyone has probably given it a try at least once. So, why not go back to it now?

  • “Broken” Warzone skin is too hard to see & players aren’t happy about it – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone skin is too hard to see & players aren’t happy about it Infinity WardCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 5 Roze “Rook” operator is maddening players, as the small, dark silhouette is sometimes impossible to detect before getting killed. [jwplayer br5AuoVJ] Verdansk is a diverse environment and Modern Warfare’s operators are fittingly blessed with a varied assortment of camouflages. With the map spanning green, forested areas, dry, muted plains, and dark, indoor rooms, there is a lot of different scenery to keep track of. Within the map’s obscured nooks and crannies, one Season 5 operator skin has become a particular nuisance for players. Upon hitting Tier 100 on the preceding season’s Battle Pass, the Roze “Rook” skin was unlocked, offering fans a jet-black, sleek character to rock across Modern Warfare’s multiplayer and accompanying battle royale. With the prevalence of close-quarters combat in dimly lit indoor spaces, players have begun pointing out just how impossible it is to see Roze in the game. In a screenshot shown by ‘bleedblue_knetic’ on Reddit, there appears to be an empty cell in the subterranean jails located below the Prison POI. But their teammate, ‘Deadalus,’ is highlighted as being right behind the cell’s bars. Even knowing someone is technically there, it is practically impossible to discern a character model behind the partial obstructions. As such, bleedblue_knetic’s post is titled simply: “I’ve never really seen anyone talk about it, but does anyone else think Roze skin is not okay?” In response, the vast majority of commenters agreed that this skin is an issue and is getting widely used by sweaty players because of how difficult it is to see in Warzone’s darker environments. One commenter summed it up succinctly: “It’s one of the most broken skins in the game.” Another Redditor, ‘OJbeforethebadstuff,’ also replied with his own example of the Rook skin’s seeming invisibility. While their video settings appear to lack more brightness than necessary, it still demonstrates just how deadly Roze’s camouflage can be. As seen in the video, the screen is darker than most players’ displays, but, nonetheless, the Roze that kills him is frankly invisible. It isn’t until you watch the kill cam that you realize there was a person actually standing there amongst the tables, waiting to secure an easy elimination. Usually, hacking is raised as a possibility when you’re killed by someone you can’t see. But, in this case, it appears that the Rook skin is simply svelte and dark enough to blend into indoor backgrounds perfectly. Her hitbox isn’t technically smaller than others’ and she does appear in an obvious contrast when in bright environments, but so much of Warzone is played in dimmed locations that this is as meta a skin as the game has seen. Infinity Ward has yet to respond to complaints and it remains to be seen if some of the game’s niche visibility issues can be resolved.

  • “Broken” Warzone shotgun deletes in one-shot and it’s becoming meta – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone shotgun deletes in one-shot and it’s becoming meta ActivisionThere is a “broken” shotgun that is deleting enemies in one shot in Warzone, but it’s not the one you might be expecting. Over the last few years, shotguns have had their moments in the spotlight in Warzone. The Dragon’s Breath ammo that ravaged Verdansk won’t be forgotten anytime soon, and neither will the one-shot Doom shotgun – Lockwood 300 – that tore up Al-Mazrah and Modern Warfare 3. These problematic shotguns have been nerfed time and time again by the devs, and that usually means that the whole category goes on the shelf for a while. Yet, that might be about to change in Warzone. At least according to Warzone guru TheKoreanSavage anyway, as he’s highlighted the Deal Breaker blueprint for the Lockwood 680 as being “broken” right now. “This shotgun is absolutely broken in Rebirth Island,” the YouTuber said in his June 26 video. “Ridiculous one-shot range, and oh my god, this thing absolutely fries.” The ideal loadout for the Lockwood is centered around the Crown Breaker Choke, Bryson Hammerforged Long Barrel, and the Sawed Off Mod. The choke adds a tad more recoil, but buffs the shotgun’s effective damages by a fair bit, while the other two are all about improving the movement speed. Muzzle: Crown Breaker Choke – Barrel: Bryson Hammerforged Long Barrel – Laser: Hipshot L20 – Stock: Sawed Off Mod – Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop – As per WZRanked stats, the Lockwood 680 has ticked up to be just outside the meta, with it currently ranking as the 11th most-popular gun on there. It’s just behind the likes of the recently buffed MTZ–556 and MCW, and even ahead of the buffed BAL 27. Shotguns were not touched in the Season 4 Reloaded update, aside from the KV Broadside’s JAK Jawbreaker Conversion Kit, meaning that this hasn’t been nerfed at all just yet. So, you’ve still some time to run wild with it – especially on Rebirth.

  • “Broken” Warzone rifle dominates like SMG thanks to one attachment – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone rifle dominates like SMG thanks to one attachment ActivisionThere is a “broken” battle rifle in Warzone that can dominate like an SMG thanks to one attachment, and one CoD expert absolutely loves it. Over the last few years, Warzone has had its fair share of broken weapon meta. The Gallantry MAC-10 blueprint still strikes fear into players whenever it is mentioned, and the DMR still keeps some players awake at night. The Modern Warfare 3 integration with Warzone has had a handful of overpowered weapons as well, with a few of these coming as a result of the new Aftermarket Parts. Some of these new attachments have been seen as “pointless” in different situations, but there are others that give massive bonuses to overlooked weapons. That is the case with the JAK Heretic Carbine conversion kit and the MTZ-762, which Warzone guru TheKoreanSavage believes is a “broken” option moving forward in Season 3. “It adds 53% to the effective damage range, which is insane. It adds a huge 43% horizontal recoil control bonus and pretty much turns a battle rifle into an SMG, or, I guess, the AMAX,” he said. “The only downside is the bullet velocity, but you don’t really need that if you’re using it as an SMG,” the YouTuber added, noting that he uses MTZ-Precision Blackthorn Barrel to bring the bullet velocity back up anyway. Muzzle: Casus Brake L – Barrel: MTZ-Precision Blackthorn Barrel – Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop – Magazine: 7.62 40-round mag – Conversion Kit: JAK Heretic Carbine – As noted, the MTZ-762 has gone under the radar a little bit in the last few weeks, especially as battle rifles have slightly slipped away from the meta conversation. So, it’ll be interesting to see if this conversion makes its usage pick up a bit.

  • Broken Warzone Recon contracts are impossible for players to get – Dexerto

Broken Warzone Recon contracts are impossible for players to get ActivisionRecon contracts are extremely popular in Warzone, allowing players to earn some cash towards their Loadout Drop while also gathering intel on where the circle is headed. Except, they’re looking pretty broken right now. Contracts can be a game-changer in Warzone, whether it be to bring back your teammates who didn’t see success in the Gulag or gather funds to buy a new loadout. While Scavenger contracts are the most popular, with the promise of an Armor Satchel and extra cash an alluring one, the long-term thinkers on your squad might prefer to opt for a Recon. The issue is, some of them aren’t quite working as intended — or properly at all. While we’ve seen ongoing issues with Scavenger contracts in Warzone, including loot boxes being stuck in walls or underground, Recons aren’t usually affected by issues such as these. In the final days of Verdansk’s reign as the Warzone map, however, Recon contracts are taking on a mind of their own. Multiple players have reported Recons popping up in out-of-reach places, positions that are difficult to get to or simply strange spots. This includes King_Bobzilla, who found their recon on top of a chandelier and impossible to reach. King_Bobzilla isn’t the only victim, however. BillGrilson posted something similar, as it seems something has gone wrong with Recon contracts. Whether this is something devs Raven Software are aware of remains to be seen, but with the Warzone Pacific integration with Vanguard coming on the delayed date of December 8, we might not see a fix before the new Caldera map arrives.

  • “Broken” Warzone melee weapon takes over Rebirth Island – Dexerto

“Broken” Warzone melee weapon takes over Rebirth Island ActivisionIf you’ve played much Call of Duty: Warzone throughout Season 3, you’ll be well aware of how the meta has changed, with the likes of the BP50 JAK Revenger and Striker 9 flying into the meta. However, Rebirth Island is being dominated by one particularly infuriating melee weapon, and players are starting to have enough of it. Melee weapons have floated in and out of the Warzone meta ever since the game launched, with the Kali Sticks a particularly popular option at one point in time, able to take down opponents lightning-fast at close range. They became a serial complaint from Warzone players, and now, it looks like the Tonfa is going the same way, as they become more popular and more frustrating, especially in Rebirth. Similar to the Kali Sticks, the Tonfa is just a single baton that has increased range and incredible speed when spamming the melee button, outclassing the rest of the Melee weapon options by some distance. It means that if a player with a Tonfa gets close to you, you’re very unlikely to be on the winning end of the fight, unless you manage to get some good headshots or completely break your opponents’ ankles to create some more distance. “Please nerf the tonfa and the shield,” requested BrendelFRL on Twitter/X, also targeting the Riot Shield. “These items are very broken, it’s a shooting game, it doesn’t make sense for these melee weapons to be so broken, the gameplay is unfeasible.” MissJessx even asked for it to be banned in Ranked Resurgence, as well as a nerf, saying that it “is getting ridiculous.” What’s worse is that the Tonfa is unlocked once you reach player Level 4 — which means unless you’re just starting the game for the first time, a large majority of players have the Tonfa waiting and ready to be used.

  • Broken Warzone melee attack is costing players a Caldera win – Dexerto

Broken Warzone melee attack is costing players a Caldera win ActivisionIf you’re in a pinch on Warzone – stuck reloading in the middle of a gunfight – sometimes the best option is to go for an old-fashioned melee hit. But as the CoD battle royale has moved over to Caldera, the melee system is totally broken. Despite all the different guns on offer in Warzone, melee has always been one of the most useful weapons in a player’s arsenal. Getting up close and personal usually does big damage, whittling down an enemy’s health bar in seconds. It’s also been the last resort for anyone who finds themselves without ammo or having to reload in the middle of a hectic fight. But with Warzone and Vanguard Season 1 underway, the melee system isn’t working as intended. As players look to secure their first wins on the new Caldera map, it appears that trying to use the melee attack isn’t actually doing any damage. Reddit user chrisssf uploaded a clip showing the extent of the melee issues in Warzone at the moment. In it, two players can be seen meleeing each other repeatedly with neither taking any damage. It wasn’t until one caved and opted to use the pistol that the fight came to an end. “I thought they nerfed melee’s, but not this bad!” they joked. Another video came from Reddit user Substantial-Quarter4, showing just how costly this can be in Warzone matches. They found themselves in a close-up fight with an enemy after reaching the final two squads. With their current clip extremely low, they naturally attempted to melee the opposing player from behind several times, but each one failed to register as a hit. Unscathed from the attempted hits, the enemy then turns around and quickly takes them out. Not only is this a frustrating bug that fundamentally breaks a key part of the Warzone experience. It cost this player the match from a position that they more than likely would have won from. Plenty of other fans responded saying they have encountered these issues. It also appears to be happening when players are trying to finish off downed enemies. “I downed a guy during a firefight earlier today, when I finally got up to him to finish him off with a melee I noticed I wasn’t doing ANY damage,” replied one Warzone user. “As I was about to swap to my secondary a sniper dropped me from god knows where. Unbelievable man.” After a notably shaky start to Warzone Pacific, this is one of the more severe bugs we’ve seen so far. Fans will be hoping that developers Raven Software are already working on a fix. Until then, we recommend swapping to your secondary weapon if you run out of ammo in a fight, or you’re trying to eliminate a downed enemy.

  • Broken Warzone loadout turns pistol into meta-busting SMG – Dexerto

Broken Warzone loadout turns pistol into meta-busting SMG ActivisionThe Warzone SMG meta is heavily dominated by the HRM right now, with some players instead opting for the RAM 9 — but this broken pistol loadout might actually be the best submachine gun in the game. While the pistols aren’t super popular in Warzone like they were in previous years, such as the Black Ops Cold War Diamatti, the Renetti could actually prove to be a serious problem in the battle royale mode with this loadout. As shown by popular Warzone creator Metaphor, the JAK Ferocity conversion kit on the Renetti completely changes the gun into an SMG that can melt opponents, especially when paired with all of the right attachments. Here’s how to set the class up: Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator Flash Hider – Stock: Ravage-8 – Magazine: 50 Round Drum – Rear Grip: Bruen Onslaught Assault Grip – Conversion Kit: JAK Ferocity Carbine kit – One notable advantage to this weapon, as well as clearly just being a strong gun, is that it can be used underwater, making gunfights around water far easier for you. This is best paired with a meta RAM-7, or even a one-shot sniper class to maximize your potential at all ranges. To unlock the JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit, you need to get the Renetti to max level then get 30 kills with five attachments equipped — a challenge that shouldn’t take more than a small handful of games, but could definitely be completed in one match too.
