Activision bans Call of Duty League trophy over fears it’s “too gruesome” New York Subliners / Call of Duty LeagueHaving designed their own trophy for the CDL Major 4 event, the New York Subliners quickly learned the custom build wouldn’t be allowed on-stage as the Call of Duty League swiftly banned it over fears of being “too gruesome” for an adult audience. Throughout the 2022 CDL season, the league has refused to provide its own trophies. For each of the four Majors in Texas, Minnesota, Toronto, and New York, event hosts have been required to manufacture their own, should they wish to even have a trophy for the winner. The first event went without, the second provided a Nordic shield as its trophy, the third handed the winners a crown, and the fourth has just been revealed. For Major 4, hosts New York Subliners designed one of the more original rewards to date. Taking shape as a more traditional trophy, the custom build featured New York’s own Statue of Liberty split down the middle with a skull revealed underneath — similar to the logo for NYSL sister team in Valorant, New York Fury (NYFU). Although fans were quick to praise this standout design, it turns out we won’t see it at the event as Activision swiftly moved to block the trophy. “Presenting the trophy for Major 4 in all its glory,” Subliners shared on July 13, just one day out from the tournament. The custom craft pays homage to Major 4’s location, serving as an original one-off specifically for New York’s event. Shortly after the CDL team displayed its trophy, however, Subliners Creative Director Matt Lucero provided an update. Despite the fanfare surrounding its reveal, Activision allegedly turned it down and blocked it from the competition. “[The] League rejected our trophy,” he announced. “[They] said it was too gruesome.” Despite Call of Duty being rated 18+ and thus, its official esports tournaments targeting an adult crowd, the trophy design was deemed too over the top for Major 4. Fortunately, the trophy will live on to some degree. Sources have informed Dexerto the winners will still take home the Major 4 trophy, only, it won’t be featured on broadcast whatsoever. “For a game where you can get blown to pieces, this ain’t graphic at all,” one player chimed in on Reddit. “The CDL doesn’t provide trophies and then denies the ones the orgs make,” another added. Dexerto has reached out to Activision for further comment.

Activision bans 500,000 “toxic” players in CoD & Warzone crackdown – Dexerto
Activision bans 500,000 “toxic” players in CoD & Warzone crackdown ActivisionActivision announced 500,000 CoD account bans to date, and 300,000 accounts renamed since launching an automated filtering system. Activision added its RICOCHET anti-cheat system to Warzone at the end of 2021. Despite numerous attempts to build upon and improve RICOCHET, reports of cheating are surging. Some players fear the worse for Warzone 2. Warzone players have questioned the effectiveness of RICOCHET in the past, even causing some players to jump ship in favor of other battle royal offerings. For the first time, Activision revealed data regarding the anti-cheat system. The developers also announced a new Code of Conduct for Call of Duty. All players must read it through before entering the Modern Warfare 2 Beta. Activision reveals ban count and announces new Code of Conduct Activision announced they have banned over 500,000 Call of Duty accounts and forced 300,000 to change their names. The developers stated, “Since our last Call of Duty community update, our enforcement and anti-toxicity teams have continued to progress, including scrubbing our global player database to remove toxic users.” A new Code of Conduct was also revealed. Activision ban 60,000 Warzone cheaters after finally confirming there’s anti-cheat – Dexerto
Activision ban 60,000 Warzone cheaters after finally confirming there’s anti-cheat ActivisionActivision has finally responded to the ongoing cheating crisis affecting the popular battle royale game Warzone, revealing that it has issued over 60,000 bans in its latest wave and announcing enhancements to the game’s anti-cheat system. If you’ve been eager for Activision to say literally anything about the cheating problems affecting Warzone then there’s some good news. The publishing giant has confirmed that they have issued a large number of bans in their latest attempt to eradicate the game of cheaters: “Today we banned 60,000 accounts for confirmed cases of using cheat software in , bringing our total to date of more than 300,000 permabans worldwide since launch.” This would make the February 2 ban-wave the second-largest in the game’s history following the 70,000 cheaters they removed in April of 2020, just a month after the game was released. While no other details were specified about the nature of the accounts that they struck, Vice reported, based on their sources, that most of the affected players were using hacks purchased from EngineOwning – one of the biggest distributors of video game cheats, especially in Warzone. The company’s Discord channel was filled with customers complaining that the hacks they’d bought had been exposed and led to their account being banned, while the EngineOwning website itself was showing the Warzone hacks as “updating,” while all of the other games were “undetected.” Purchases of the Warzone cheating software are currently disabled while the company makes these changes. That’s not the only big news to come out of Activision’s February 2 announcement; at last, after nearly a year of being kept in the dark, the publishers finally confirmed that Warzone does have an internal anti-cheat system that they’re working to improve, including better reporting, monitoring, and detection technology. That was just one of several items on their to-do list when it comes to this issue: Enhancements to our internal anti-cheat software – Additional detection technology – Adding new resources dedicated to monitoring and enforcement – Regular communication updates on progress; more two-way dialogue – Zero tolerance for cheat providers – Consistent and timely bans – Finally, Activision also confirmed that it will be looking to broker a more consistent line communication between Raven Software and the Warzone player-base. The publisher is pledging to provide updates on bans, anti-cheats, etc at least once a month, and possibly even weekly. This news comes after a slew of content creators and players announced that they were either considering or have already decided to step away from Warzone until something is done to mitigate the hacking issue. Most recently, star content creator Vikkstar confirmed he was quitting the game after witnessing blatant cheaters streaming on Facebook with no repercussions, which then forced Facebook Gaming to respond with stricter policies regarding streamers who broadcast themselves cheating. To date, Activision has issued 300,000 bans in both Warzone and Modern Warfare, although most would probably agree that these efforts haven’t done much to nip the issue in the bud. Here’s hoping that these changes finally bring an end, or at least significantly address, the cheating issue plaguing the game.

Activision says not releasing Call of Duty on Switch was a “bad decision” – Dexerto
Activision says not releasing Call of Duty on Switch was a “bad decision” ActivisionActivision regrets not bringing the Call of Duty franchise to the Nintendo Switch after thinking the console wouldn’t be successful. The FTC v. Microsoft hearing has unearthed loads of information – including internal emails from Xbox chief Phil Spencer. Based on the documents, Microsoft expressed interest in purchasing SEGA and Destiny developer Bungie. With the purchase, Microsoft hoped to improve Xbox Game Pass to attract new audience members, particularly in Asia. Additionally, the studio identified Destiny 2 as one of the most popular games on the Game Pass service. Meanwhile, Microsoft and Activision still haven’t sealed their deal before the July 18 deadline due to the UK blocking its proceedings. Now, Activision has given evidence at the Microsoft hearing that may surprise Switch owners. Activision blames “bad judgment” on not bringing CoD to Switch As first reported by Video Games Chronicle, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick discussed how the company also brought the Call of Duty franchise to the Nintendo Switch. Previously, the popular shooter games were launched on Nintendo consoles like the Wii and the DS. However, Kotick has blamed “bad judgment” as to why Call of Duty didn’t release on the Switch. “I made a bad judgment,” Kotick said. “When I had seen the prototype of the Switch, it was different than when I saw the prototype of the Wii [and] I thought it was the most extraordinary video game system ever created.” Kotick continued by explaining how he was “concerned” after seeing the Switch’s prototypes and didn’t think the console would become a huge success. “It’s probably the second most successful video game system of all time, so it was a bad decision on my part,” he concluded. Kotick also revealed they would consider bringing Call of Duty to the next-generation Switch once they learned the specs. In the meantime, check out our article to see everything we know about the Nintendo Switch 2.

When does Warzone 1 end? Caldera shut down date & what happens to skins – Dexerto
When does Warzone 1 end? Caldera shut down date & what happens to skins ActivisionWhen Warzone 2 launched in November 2022, Activision left the lights on so players could go back and play Caldera. However, that is due to change soon, as the original game is closing its doors for good. Here’s what you need to know about the end of Warzone 1 and the Caldera map entirely. Caldera was the final full-size Warzone map before Al Mazrah headlined the battle royale sequel. Warzone’s take on a tropical island didn’t quite resonate with everyone, as many preferred the previous stomping grounds of Verdansk. However, Rebirth Island immediately captivated community members, and the Resurgence map became a hit when the Alcatraz-inspired environment launched during Cold War. Community members were devastated when the devs removed Rebirth Island but kept Caldera when WZ2 launched. Now, after a three-year-plus run, the original WZ’s time under the sun is officially coming to an end. When does Warzone 1 shut down? Activision announced that Warzone Caldera servers will shut down on September 21, 2023. The battle royale included player progression from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard. That means the game will be unplayable from almost 2 months before the launch of Modern Warfare III — and 3 months prior to the leaked MW3 Warzone map release. Will Warzone 1 skins carry over? While skins and weapons purchased in the original Warzone will still be available in the respective titles they came from (Modern Warfare 2019, Black Ops Cold War, & Vanguard), they will not be transferred to Warzone 2. This is a decision that has disappointed many, and ruffled some feathers within the Call of Duty community, even if Caldera itself was very few players’ favorite iteration of the game. After the announcement, Warzone steamer Swagg called the decision “mindblowing,” as all the skins would be left behind. In March 2023, there was a brief period where Warzone 2 pros flocked back to Caldera amid frustrations with the battle royale sequel. A number of top streamers spoke out about how much fun they had with Warzone Caldera, celebrating the fluid movement and heightened skill gap, among other things. Their protest didn’t last long, as the subsequent seasons did enough to bring back content creators who previously wrote off Warzone 2. After the servers shut down on September 21, the game will no longer be playable, and steps have already been taken to make the transition easier, such as Activision now just referring to Warzone 2 simply as ‘Warzone.’ With so many question marks over how the future of Warzone looks with Modern Warfare 3 and beyond, players at least know to expect the COD landscape to change fairly drastically by the time it rolls around.

Activision announce former NFL Exec as new Head of Call of Duty Esports Johanna Faries, former NFL executive has been announced as the new head of Call of Duty esports operations at Activision Blizzard. Faries is described as a “veteran National Football League executive”, who will now serve as Head of Product for the Call of Duty World League, with the Esports league leadership team at Activision Blizzard. Faries worked with the NFL for over 10 years, with experience in business and fan development, which she will bring to table for the CWL, overseeing “strategic leadership, business operations and product development.” It comes shortly after the announcement of the biggest change in CoD esports history, with a change to 5v5 rosters from the traditional 4v4. Although a franchised league system is not in place for the CWL like it is with Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League, it is expected that a move towards franchising is coming within the next few years for CoD, possibly in late 2019. “The addition of Johanna to our leadership team demonstrates our commitment to maintaining a world class organization with the objective of further expanding our shared vision in esports,” said Pete Vlastelica, President and CEO of Activision Blizzard Esports Leagues. Faries said that “with esports exploding in popularity, “Call of Duty is well positioned to be at the forefront of “shaping the future of professional competition as we know it.” The 2019 CWL season will begin officially on December 7, when teams from around the world will travel to Las Vegas for the first major open event of the season. Activision and Tencent Partner to Release New Free-To-Play Call of Duty Mobile Game – Dexerto
Activision and Tencent Partner to Release New Free-To-Play Call of Duty Mobile Game Activision and Chinese conglomerate Tencent have announced a partnership to work on a free-to-play Call of Duty mobile game, featuring content from various CoD titles. The new title will deliver Call of Duty’s signature first-person shooter action to a mobile audience, utilising maps, modes, weapons and characters from across the franchise. Tencent is one of the largest conglomerates in the world, operating as an internet provider, mobile app developer and video game publisher. They are the parent organization of Epic Games, creator of Fortnite. Tencent’s lead mobile development studio will head up the creation of the Call of Duty mobile game, which is set to release in the next few months. Rob Kostich, EVP and GM of Call of Duty, says the game will aim to deliver the same gameplay and mechanics as tradition CoD games, but on mobile. “We’re working closely with one of Tencent’s top mobile studios, Timi, to develop a fun and original Call of Duty experience that delivers superb gameplay and mechanics to mobile players. Call of Duty has been the leading first person action experience around the globe for years and seeing that come to life on the mobile platform has been really exciting. We can’t wait for fans to play.” Tencent’s Senior Vice President said they are ‘thrilled’ to be partnering up with Activision and Call of Duty, and confirmed the game will release in China in the next few months. “Tencent is thrilled to bring the No. 1 top-selling, console video game franchise globally eight of the last nine years to the millions of mobile game players in China. We are bringing together a vast array of characters, content and modes from across this great franchise into a new Call of Duty mobile game tailored to meet the interests and play styles of mobile players in China. We look forward to revealing the title soon and releasing the game in China in a few months.” As with many of Tencent’s games, it sounds like it will only be available in the China, which focuses mainly on the mobile market. Willingness to spend on mobile gaming and microtransactions for mobile games is much higher in the region than in Europe and the US, according to Newzoo. The news of Tencent and Activision’s partnership also comes on the same day that Tencent’s stock price is reported to be ‘tumbling’, dropping 7.5% in the week beginning July 30.

Activision and EA stock plummets as Fortnite stays on top – Dexerto
Activision and EA stock plummets as Fortnite stays on top While Epic Games continues to reap the success of their ever popular – and free-to-play – Fortnite Battle Royale, other leading publishers appear to be struggling to keep up. As the battle royale genre continues to dominate the games market, with Fortnite leading the way, it appears Epic’s free-to-play model, with in-game purchases driving the revenue, is trumping more expensive PC and console games. Despite successful releases in their respective franchises, Activision Blizzard, EA and Take-Two Interactive have all seen their shares take a big hit in the past two months. Activision Blizzard, which launched Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with record breaking sales in October, has suffered a share drop of almost 45%, while Electronic Arts is down 30%. Activision reported in November that they had 345 million monthly active users across titles such as Candy Crush, World of Warcraft and Call of Duty, which was down from 384 million the same time a year ago. Perhaps most surprising is Take-Two Interactive, who just published Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 27 and grossed $750 million in just three days, as the shares have plummeted 25%. While Fortnite is free-to-play on consoles, PC and mobile, which could be stealing away players from other games, Activision especially is having a tough time taking their celebrated franchises to mobile. There was controversy as Diablo fans were angered by a mobile version of the game being released, rather than a fully fledged PC sequel. Call of Duty is also set to have a mobile release, with ‘Global Operations’ currently being tested on Android phones in some parts of the world. Fortnite being free and available on almost every platform imaginable is putting some casual players off buying more expensive PC and console games, which is something these big publishers cannot ignore. Activision allows CDL and OWL teams to skip franchise payments in 2020 – Dexerto
Activision allows CDL and OWL teams to skip franchise payments in 2020 Activision Blizzard[jwplayer ESpM1MSj]Both Call of Duty League (CDL) and Overwatch League (OWL) organizations have been allowed by Activision Blizzard to dodge multimillion-dollar franchise fees in 2020. In the midst of an extremely turbulent year, to say the least, both CDL and OWL competition has continued forward. The best Call of Duty players competed in an online postseason with $4.6 million on the line. Meanwhile, the best Overwatch players are currently gearing up for the Grand Final Weekend which kicks off on October 8 in South Korea. Despite the wrenches thrown in the gears for both leagues, Activision has pressed forward in 2020. However, the leagues haven’t quite operated how they were supposed to. Proper events with thousands of attendees came to a halt. Home Series and Homestands alike were both off the table due to the ongoing lockdown. With a huge chunk of change supposed to come from these live events, organizations certainly took a hit. As a result, Activision Blizzard is foregoing the need to pay millions in franchise fees this calendar year. Sponsorship deals, merchandise sales, and prize winnings are just a few of the ways in which these orgs make money. When factoring in player and staff salaries, content costs, and everything else along the way, however, these fees add up. One of the planned means of generating revenue across the CDL and OWL was through live events. Just four LAN events were held during the inaugural CDL season before the switch to online. OWL had six LAN events across North America before the same pivot. It’s during these events that orgs look to turn a profit through ticket sales and merch stands. With these opportunities coming to a halt, teams haven’t been able to make the amount they would have projected at the beginning of 2020. As a result, Activision Blizzard is allowing them to defer multimillion-dollar franchise fees that were reportedly due this year, according to The Washington Post. As many paid upwards of $20 million to acquire franchise slots in either league, payments are expected on an annual basis. Due to the lack of live events, these repayments have the option of being postponed. Some orgs may choose to continue paying back in 2020, but the choice is there to hold off until 2021 for the teams that need it. There’s no currently no ETA on when live events will return. Options to establish bubbles akin to the NBA have been in discussion for the 2021 CDL season, and the OWL Finals are indeed taking place in a safe South Korean hub, though the return of crowds could still be a ways off.

Activision finally adjust loot boxes in Black Ops 4 update – Dexerto
Activision finally adjust loot boxes in Black Ops 4 update Loot boxes in the form of ‘cases’ were introduced to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 as part of the previous Operation Grand Heist update. Players have voiced concerns with a number of issues ever since, but Activision seem to have been listening. Black Ops 4 is already a game that monetizes its content. The full game still costs around $40, then there’s a $50 season pass. Each loot box costs 200 CoD points which is about $2. Treyarch’s decision to release new supply drops caused a number of complaints, especially when fans found that their content was not up to the standards they expect. However, Treyarch have acknowledged the fact that the progression in the Black Market was too slow. Taking feedback from players on board, the developers doubled the loot box earn rate as part of the February 22 update. Activision accused of copying Warzone Floof Fury skin from artist – Dexerto
Activision accused of copying Warzone Floof Fury skin from artist ActivisionActivision have been accused of plagiarizing the work of a fan over the new Warzone Floof Fury skin after the artist pointed out striking similarities between the two. Just like every other battle royale on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone has dove right into the cosmetics game with an abundance of skins for weapons, characters, vehicles, and plenty of other purchasable add-ons. Many of these skins are Activision’s own, and a few have come as a result of a crossover with other popular franchises, but there is a new skin that has caused a bit of a stir. The Floof Fury skin, which was revealed alongside the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, has been highlighted by an artist who come up with a similar design over two years ago. CoD fan claims Warzone copied their skin idea The artist in question, Saillin, pointed out the similarities between the new Warzone skin and their Samoye Medical concept that was posted to ArtStation back in December of 2019. Obviously, the most obvious comparison between the two is the fact that the skin takes the form of a dog, but there are others as well. As the artist highlights, the CoD cosmetic has a gun strapped to the character’s back – just like theirs – as well as a scarf around the neck and a satchel on the hip, all in a similar design and color scheme. “Even though I am a CoD player, I am very disappointed to see my work being plagiarized by a big company like Activision in this way,” the artist tweeted, noting they’ve reached out to the Call of Duty publishers for answers. Plenty of Warzone fans have sympathized with the artist and urged Activision to make things right. Though, some have suggested that cosmetics shouldn’t be released at all. As of writing, the artist hasn’t offered any further updates on the situation and it remains to be seen as to what the developers will do about things.

ACHES Weighs in On Call of Duty Competitive Ruleset Debate and Growing CoD Esports – “We blame the dumbest s***” – Dexerto
ACHES Weighs in On Call of Duty Competitive Ruleset Debate and Growing CoD Esports – “We blame the dumbest s***” Evil Geniuses player Patrick “ACHES” Price has weighed in on the on-going debate about the impact of the competitive ruleset on the growth of CoD esports. ACHES is an almost ten year veteran of competitive Call of Duty, but unlike his fellow veteran James “Clayster” Eubanks, ACHES doesn’t think assimilating the competitive ruleset with casual CoD will help boost viewership. The debate was sparked when Clayster suggested that Call of Duty esports embrace all the weapons, maps and equipment used in regular public matches in an effort to interest more casual fans. Currently, competitive Call of Duty uses a somewhat stripped back version of the base game, removing maps, certain weapons/attachments and more to create a more balanced and, well, competitive environment. Responding to Clayster’s suggestions, ACHES made it clear he thinks the problems causing the rift between casual and competitive CoD community is more than just the ruleset. The debate is focused around the upcoming release of Black Ops 4, as the competitive Call of Duty aims to interest more casual fans into the competitive side of the game. Treyarch has historically been a very supportive developer when it comes to esports, so with good communication and co-operation between players, fans, the CWL and Treyarch, hopefully a balance can be struck.

ACHES Turns Back the Clock With a Clinical 1v1 to Complete Reverse Sweep at CWL Champs – Dexerto
ACHES Turns Back the Clock With a Clinical 1v1 to Complete Reverse Sweep at CWL Champs CoD:WWII felt a little bit like Ghosts when Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price clutched up in Search and Destroy to send his team to the Winners Finals. The 2014 Call of Duty Champion was left in a 1v1 against Team EnVy in Round 10 of the Game 5 Search. ACHES and Evil Geniuses fell down 0-2 in the series but battled back to force the Game 5. The S&D was a back and forth affair with neither team able to distance themselves. Finally, EG earned match point and the round came down to a 1v1 between CoD legend ACHES and rising star Huke. There would be no torch passed as ACHES masterfully used the cover of the bomb site to win the engagement and send EG through to a guaranteed top 3 placing. Evil Geniuses had a roller coaster of a season, making the Grand Finals of CWL Seattle and dominating the first half of the Stage 2 Pro League, but the wheels came off after a disappointing finish in CWL Anaheim. The team was suddenly unable to win a Search, dropping 14 straight and missing out on the Stage 2 Playoffs. Pool play of Champs also showed off the hot and cold nature of the EG roster, losing to Elevate but sweeping OpTic Gaming to advance to the bracket portion of the tournament. Next up for EG is Team Kaliber in the Winners Finals of the 2018 CWL Championships. You call follow all the Champs action with Dexerto’s 2018 CWL Championship Hub.

Team Envy’s ACHES thinks Black Ops 4 movement speed needs changing – Dexerto
Team Envy’s ACHES thinks Black Ops 4 movement speed needs changing Reigning world champion, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price, believes the current movement speed in Black Ops 4 is too fast. The captain of Team Envy took to Twitter to share his thoughts that the overall speed of the game is currently too fast for the increased number of players on the map in competitive play, which increased from 8 to 10 this year. He stated his belief that the current speed feels too “cluttery and fast” and that it should be decreased by at least 10%, if not more, to make the playing and viewing experience better. This feeling that the game is too fast could come down to each team having an extra player, as the size of the maps haven’t changed from previous games. For 5v5 and the size of the maps i really think they should tune overall movement speed by atleast 10%. It just feels so cluttery and fast. Just my opinion tho, think it would make it a lot more pleasant to play and watch. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) 15 October 2018 100 Thieves’ Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat agreed with ACHES, saying he feels players are able to move across the map too quickly at the moment. I agree with this. You make it around maps way too fast — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) 15 October 2018 With Black Ops 4 being the first game to feature the new 5v5 format, but also including some throwback maps like Firing Range and Slums, it was always likely that players would have feedback, especially those who competed on the original maps on Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2. ACHES and Team Envy coach Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevil noted that getting across both Summit and Slums is significantly quicker in Black Ops 4 than on the original versions of each map. when i play the throwback maps i’m mindblown. I’m top control on summit in SECONDS. That shit was a sprint back in the day — Patrick Price (@ACHES) 15 October 2018 The timing that trips me out is on slums snd at blue street lmao you can get front blue on offense when they get into blue on defense — Bevils NV (@bevils1sg) 15 October 2018 As the game was only released on October 12 and players continue to share their thoughts on what does and doesn’t work, changes could still be made to Black Ops 4 before CWL Las Vegas, the first tournament of the season, which kicks off December 7. Could we see movement speed decreased before this?

ACHES takes shots at new 100 Thieves CoD roster during scrims – Dexerto
ACHES takes shots at new 100 Thieves CoD roster during scrims Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price was less than impressed by the new all-star lineup of 100 Thieves, and let them know all about during a scrim. 100 Thieves re-entered CoD for the Black Ops 4 season for this first time since releasing their previous roster in 2016 – which actually featured ACHES himself. That roster failed to win a single map at MLG Anaheim 2016, but despite this, 2x World Champion ACHES wasn’t sympathetic to the new 100T as they practice for the first time together. And when the new 100T lineup was announced, ACHES made clear that he wasn’t as blown away as the community seemed to be with the top tier lineup of players. During a set of scrims, which Team Envy admittedly dominated over 100T, ACHES put their opponents on blast, saying “these guys don’t know how to play.” After a tongue-in-cheek comment about “100 Thieves – more like 100 Trophies (systems)” after multiple trophy systems were used off break by the opposition, Envy made a straightforward break into the opening hardpoint. ACHES then goes on a bit of a tear, trash talking all the way, as Team Envy went on to win the map 250-179. Fans will be looking forward to ACHES’ rivalries individually with a number of teams going into the first event of the season, but perhaps there is some extra motivation for him vs 100 Thieves. More: There’s a tiger in a secret area under the Hacienda map in Black Ops 4, and it’s causing problems – ACHES has also shared a long lasting rivalry with 100 Thieves founder and CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag – long time Call of Duty esports fans will remember when it almost came to blows between the pair at an event. ACHES and Envy will have their chance to prove for real that their decision to stick as a roster (with the addition of Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland) following 2018 champs was the right one, at CWL Vegas on December 7-9. They may have looked a step ahead of 100 Thieves in these scrims, but it’s only practice, and with plenty of time for teams and players to get better, things can change fast in Call of Duty.

ACHES, Slasher, Parasite and more discuss potential changes to the Black Ops 4 CWL map rotation – Dexerto
ACHES, Slasher, Parasite and more discuss potential changes to the Black Ops 4 CWL map rotation Call of Duty pro players have been analysing, critiquing and suggesting changes to the CWL V1 ruleset ever since it was announced on October 26. Most of the conversation has centered around which weapons, items and Specialists they believe should or should not be permitted in competitive play, but some has also concentrated on the map rotation. Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat have already voiced their concerns about some of the maps included for various game modes and they were joined by a number of others during a discussion about the Hardpoint maps on October 28. ACHES took to Twitter to suggest that both Hacienda and Morocco should be added to the rotation and, while some disagreed about Morocco, the general consensus was that Hacienda should be included. ACHES seems to be particularly concerned about Summit being used for Hardpoint – something that Evil Geniuses’ Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson clearly agrees with. During the same conversation, SlasheR and Christopher ‘Parasite’ Duarte debated over whether Contraband should be included, with Parasite saying that the ability to flank through the water, and the spawns, were issues – SlasheR agreed that the map has issues but believes it’s still the fifth best option for the mode in Black Ops 4. Yeah chief said he’s starting to get tired of saying it’s not it his phone has been off the hook — Tyler (@FeLo) October 28, 2018 I agree with hacienda. but morocco is a big RED. “”Hes hitting staircase 24″” Its also too small for 10 people and this movement speed — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) October 28, 2018 rating the map on the current spawns is pointless. Also I’m not happy about contraband but its the 5th best hp imo. Arsenal Frequency Hacienda Gridlock Contraband — 100T SlasheR (@SlasheR_AL) October 28, 2018 The conversation didn’t end with Hardpoint, though, as ACHES, FeLo and Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevil all agreed that Seaside Search and Destroy would be an issue, particularly will Specialists in the game. “There’s nowhere you can move the B site to make it a good map either,” Team Envy’s coach stated. “Barrel part of the map is just way too congested for snd even if you moved the bombsite behind the building in the courtyard still no good for SnD.” Its saying something about that map that the most problematic bomb isn’t the one in the middle of the map — Bevils NV (@bevils1sg) October 28, 2018 There’s nowhere you can move the B site to make it a good map either, barrel part of the map is just way too congested for snd even if you moved the bombsite behind the building in the courtyard still no good for snd — Bevils NV (@bevils1sg) October 28, 2018 It will be interesting to see how the rules, and maps, change throughout the Black Ops 4 season, but it seems likely that the pro players will have to compete under the current limitations at CWL Las Vegas at least. The $250,000 event will take place from December 7 – 9 and will be our first opportunity to see what the best players on Earth are capable of under LAN conditions.

ACHES slams Minnesota ROKKR for “no competitive integrity” at CDL launch – Dexerto
ACHES slams Minnesota ROKKR for “no competitive integrity” at CDL launch LA Guerrillas – Twitter / Minnesota ROKKR – TwitterPatrick ‘ACHES’ Price, captain of the Los Angeles Guerrillas Call of Duty League franchise, is not happy with how the Minnesota RØKKR are hosting the CDL Launch Weekend event, which kicks off the 2020 regular season. There is a lot of buzz surrounding competitive Call of Duty right now as the esport will be turning a massive page on January 24 and officially launching the newly-formed CDL. The Launch Weekend, which is being hosted by the RØKKR in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will feature all 12 member teams for the first and only time this season, as the other regular-season tournaments will all only involve a limited number of teams each. However, not all of that buzz has been positive, as ACHES expressed frustration about how the RØKKR have been handling their hosting duties for the league’s first event – even going as far as to question their competitive integrity. Read More: CDL Launch Weekend schedule – In a tweet published on January 23, the LA Guerrillas captain explained how technical issues were preventing players from being able to practice and scrim, with the RØKKR being the only team not affected, since they have their own practice facility away from the event venue. “So, the Minnesota RØKKR are responsible for the setup and holding the tournament this weekend, yet no setups are working for any teams,” he tweeted. “Practice is on hold for hours. However, the RØKKR team are at their training facility grinding away! No competitive integrity nowadays.” https://twitter.com/ACHES/status/1220427732137529344 In a follow-up tweet, ACHES further emphasized the gravity of the problem by pointing out that no one has been able to try out the massive Modern Warfare update that was released on January 22. “Don’t even know what patch we’re playing on yet!” he wrote. “The one that came out yesterday.” The patch, one of the biggest in recent weeks, featured a special section regarding competitive play, including changes to Domination, headshot multiplier, and the charge times of Dead Silence and Trophy System. Domination: Flags must be neutralized before being captured again. Settings for neutralization timing are now available in settings – Decreased charge time on the Trophy System – Headshot multiplier damage has been clamped; torso and headshots are now the same – Removed lightweight boost and decreased charge time on Dead Silence – Needless to say, if what ACHES tweeted is completely accurate, then the Minnesota players would indeed have an advantage by being able to play the game and practice, while the rest of their competition resorts to “shooting bots.” Read More: CDL Power Rankings ahead of Launch Weekend – The situation sounds even wors,e since this is still technically RØKKR’s homestand, which means they are the ones responsible for ensuring the event runs smoothly. This is some serious home-field advantage! After this was brought to light on Twitter, several other pro players joined in on the complaining. So uh anyone mind fixing the stations or am I just gunna chill — OpTic FormaL (@FormaL) January 23, 2020 I’ve played 1 scrim in the now 2 days stations have been open 😂 https://t.co/goLgyFK7IZ — chance (@Maux) January 23, 2020 Fortunately for everyone involved, it appears that the issues making the gaming stations unplayable were resolved before too long, according to London Royal Ravens player Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall. UPDATE – JANUARY 23 Shortly following the publishing of this article, the Call of Duty League put out a statement via their official Twitter page confirming that there had been issues which have now been resolved, which means teams can start practicing again. The Call of Duty League competition operations administration, who is responsible for this area, has confirmed teams have resumed practicing. — Call of Duty League (@CODLeague) January 23, 2020 The Call of Duty League Launch Weekend will be taking place January 24-26 at the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You can follow the event live with our CDL Launch Weekend hub, which includes streams, results, the full schedule, and more.

ACHES slams “fake” OpTic CoD franchise in heated argument with SlasheR – Dexerto
ACHES slams “fake” OpTic CoD franchise in heated argument with SlasheR Veterans of competitive Call of Duty have sparked a fiery argument online as members of the Los Angeles Guerillas and OpTic LA franchise rosters have traded blows. The first official Call of Duty League event isn’t set to kick off until January 24 in 2020 when the Minnesota Røkkr host the very first matches, yet franchise rivalries are already taking form thanks to some heated online trash-talk. Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat have fired shots at one another online, and seemingly kickstarted a rivalry between the two LA-based franchise teams that they represent – the Los Angeles Guerillas and OpTic Gaming Los Angeles respectively. In a November 3 post, ACHES wished to welcome Andres Lacefield to the Guerillas roster, stating that he’s “super excited to be teaming with Lace again!” The pair haven’t teamed together since their tenure under Cloud9 that came to an end early in 2017. “Great addition to round out the LA B team,” SlasheR responded to agitate the two-time World Champion, implying that the OpTic lineup is much more impressive on paper. Great addition to round out the LA B team congrats Pat! — Austin Liddicoat (@SlasheR_AL) November 4, 2019 “Listen bro at least all of my teammates want to be on my team, not a part of the fake OpTic” ACHES responded. “See you in a few months. If y’all make it that long of course.” Hinting at a litany of issues that have surrounded the OpTic organization of late, ACHES returned fire by bringing up the sale of OpTic parent company Infinite Esports & Entertainment to Immortals Gaming Club. Additionally, the comment hits on behind the scenes drama surrounding Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell, which saw the star player threatening to bench himself if he wasn’t released from the LA team. ACHES seemed to suggest the same could play out again in the new LA team, before the first bullet had even been fired in the CDL. Listen bro at least all of my teammates want to be on my team, not a part of the fake Optic. See you in a few months. If y’all make it that long of course. #HoodsUp — LA – PATTYP (@ACHES) November 4, 2019 Adding even more fuel to the fire, SlasheR responded in kind, arguing that ACHES “didn’t even want to be on [his] own team” according to texts between the two on September 4. “September 4th?!? Was that before Free Agency even begun? Make sure you’ve settled everything at home before you talk about some LA rivalry,” ACHES concluded, responding with a GIF that doubled down on rumors of Dashy wanting to part ways with OpTic LA to join Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez and the powerhouse roster under the Chiacgo Huntsmen brand. September 4th?!? Was that before Free Agency even begun? I’d hate to live in the past like that Austin. But like I said, make sure you’ve settled everything at home before you talk about some LA rivalry. pic.twitter.com/XmkI6WEfjl — LA – PATTYP (@ACHES) November 4, 2019 The OpTic roster features a mix of youngblood and veteran talent as the duo of Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly join forces with back to back World Champion Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan, 2018 rookie of the year Kenny Williams and former 100 Thieves teammate SlasheR. Meanwhile, the LA Guerillas lineup brings together a wealth of competitive Call of Duty experience with Renato ‘Saints’ Forza and former Splyce player Ulysses ‘AquA’ Silva, alongside ACHES and the newly announced Lacefield. Which of these two rosters will come out ahead as the league kicks off, remains to be seen. One thing can be certain though, the battle for LA supremacy will always be an enthralling matchup, especially with this bitterness adding fuel to emerging storylines. As the LA Guerillas confirm their final starting member as well as any substitutes, you can keep up to date with all of the latest announcements using our dedicated off-season tracker.

ACHES & Scump hit out at major Modern Warfare mechanic – Dexerto
ACHES & Scump hit out at major Modern Warfare mechanic MLG/ActivsionCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s slide mechanic has come under scrutiny from a host of the game’s biggest pros, with many arguing it needs adjusting going forwards. While older Call of Duty titles were fairly varied in the movement mechanics they allowed players to utilize, the FPS’ last few installments have all used a slide mechanic. This is in contrast to some older titles, that included dolphin dives and jet-packs. These slide mechanics have become a key part of any professional’s in-game movement, allowing players to move around maps faster while attempting to evade enemy fire. However, ‘slide-canceling’ has also surfaced as a more controversial movement exploit. Slide-cancelling sees players able to stop their slide mechanic in order to draw their weapon, with no delays to ADS speed. This enables players to return fire while being incredibly mobile and hard to hit, in a way many feel is too strong. On May 8, Dallas Empire tweeted a clip of SMG star Shotzzy tearing into enemies with his MP5. However, CoD veteran Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price responded to the clip, highlighting how many times the young player utilized the game’s slide-canceling mechanic. Watch: The Upset That Created One of CoD’s Greatest Dynasties “Obviously Shotzzy is a top 3 player in the game right now,” he said. “But like…10+ slides in 20 seconds, sliding/slide cancelling into every gunfight. Is COD ever gonna go back to normal? 2 years of this now. I can’t be the only one who thinks this isn’t fun. (Tweet is about COD, not him).” Obviously Shottzy is a top 3 player in the game right now but like…10+ slides in 20 seconds, sliding/slide cancelling into every gunfight. Is COD ever gonna go back to normal? 2 years of this now. I can’t be the only one who thinks this isn’t fun. (Tweet is about COD, not him) https://t.co/bYhUGoNsGI — LA – PATTYP (@ACHES) May 8, 2020 While ACHES started the discussion, a host of CoD’s biggest names weighed in, including Seth ‘Scump’ Abner. The Chicago Huntsmen star, who also plays with a MP5, commented that “the mechanic stinks”. Along similar lines, Minnesota’s Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo suggested that a return to a ‘dolphin dive’ mechanic would stop the issues. something like the dolphin dive gives you a little boost in distance traveled+ no way to abuse the mechanic. win win — RØKKR Justin Fargo-P (@silly702) May 8, 2020 New York’s Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi also provided his thoughts: “If they made it to where you couldn’t cancel mid animation I think it would fix a lot of the issues with the mechanic”. ACHES agreed, suggesting such an adjustment would be similar to the system featured in CoD Ghosts, which was also an Infinity Ward game. “Movement needs to be made for MOVEMENT,” he said. “Not for abusing how you take gunfights”. Well yeah that would be the ghost slide. Aka just another dolphin dive. Movement needs to be made for MOVEMENT. Not for abusing how you take gunfights — LA – PATTYP (@ACHES) May 8, 2020 We have, in the past, seen Infinity Ward respond to movement issues within competitive Call of Duty. Back in Infinite Warfare, they implemented a nerf for “snaking”, the act of prone-ing and standing behind an object very quickly. Whether a similar change is on its way for Modern Warfare’s slide-cancelling is still unclear, but we’ll be the first to update you on any changes.

Aches reveals why EG sold their CoD team to Envy – Dexerto
Aches reveals why EG sold their CoD team to Envy It was just last month that Evil Geniuses – with a roster led by Silly, Aches, Assault, and Apathy – was standing on the stage in Columbus, Ohio as the Call of Duty World League Champions. Now the roster has moved to Team Envy after the announcement that the new season of the CWL will be moving to 5v5. Aches was one of the most outspoken voices against the format change from 4v4, which CoD esports has used since its inception, and this roster turnover appears to be why he was so against it. “With the format switch to 5v5, it put us in a very tough predicament,” Aches wrote in a press release. “If the CWL stayed 4v4, we had every intention of continuing to #BleedBlue and signing long-term with EG. “It is extremely disappointing that Activision allowed such a significant announcement to happen so late, putting us in this situation with no time to plan accordingly; I feel that EG are left in an undeserving position because of it.” With the quick timeline of the extended rosters, the market for Call of Duty pros has never been hotter because every team needs to add at least one player. “We built a laundry list of suitable fifth players to fill out the squad here at EG, but, when we went to market, we found none of our targets to be available even when starting the conversation with nearly unheard of transfer rates for their respective organizations,” wrote Evil Geniuses COO Phillip Aram, in a press release. Team Envy will immediately inherit a high-quality roster that is currently riding the popularity wave that comes with being world champions. Evil Geniuses still wants to be in competitive Call of Duty and are hoping to rebuild another team that can compete for a championship next year, but losing these players is a massive blow to the organization.

ACHES reveals he was briefly part of OpTic Gaming on Eavesdrop Podcast – Dexerto
ACHES reveals he was briefly part of OpTic Gaming on Eavesdrop Podcast Two-time Call of Duty World Champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price is known as OpTic Gaming‘s kryptonite, but has revealed that he was briefly a member of the organization, back in 2014. To many, ACHES is the ultimate villain to OpTic, regularly knocking the popular organization out of the yearly World Championship, as shown in 2015 as part of Cloud9 and again in 2018 as a member of Evil Geniuses. ACHES is four for four in matches against OpTic at World Championships. Despite their storied history, Price appeared on the March 12 edition of Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriquez’s Eavesdrop Podcast, and gave fans of both himself and the legendary organization a snippet of some little-known trivia. During the podcast, Rodriquez discussed the break of the original Evil Geniuses Call of Duty roster featuring Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow, largely credited as being one of the greatest teams in Call of Duty history. All three of Price’s teammates ended up representing OpTic, either on the organization’s main roster or on OpTic Nation, however ACHES moved on to FaZe Clan. During that time though, Price revealed he was actually part of OpTic Gaming for an extremely brief moment after their contracts at EG were purchased by the organization. “It was supposed to be me, Crim, TeeP and FormaL on EG,” ACHES said. “In the end, you guys purchased all the contracts, actually, which is something I don’t think a lot of people know. You paid for all four of us, but obviously I got pushed out after that.” Topic starts at 44:52 for mobile users. Of course, ACHES never made an appearance in the green of OpTic Gaming, and actually beat OpTic Gaming in the finals of the first Advanced Warfare tournament just a few months later. It seems unlikely that Price will ever find himself on OpTic, with Rodriquez stating that even though he’s a great person and player, the rivalry is too important between the organization and ACHES, a sentiment the pro player agrees with. ACHES reveals the biggest regrets of his Call of Duty career – Dexerto
ACHES reveals the biggest regrets of his Call of Duty career MLGCall of Duty star Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has revealed two of the biggest regrets of his competitive career – both revolving around his compLexity Gaming/Evil Geniuses’ dynasty run. The two-time CoD World Champion hosted a Twitter AMA on March 22, answering a wide array of questions from fans and fellow pro players. While some questions wanted to know about his favorite type of late night fast food, where he had planned for a vacation or just how he continues to torment OpTic Gaming year after year, others took a deep dive into his gaming history. The CoD legend had already answered plenty of benign questions before being quizzed about the ‘absolute worst decision’ he had made in his career. Aches swiftly answered: “Not caring if I kept my col [compLexity]/eg [Evil Genuises] team together.” The two-time World Champion had been referring to how his dynasty Evil Geniuses roster had broken up at the end of Call of Duty: Ghosts when Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow departed the active roster. Another fan also asked ACHES about the worst mistake he had made when it came to putting a roster together. The Team Envy captain responded: “Adding TuQuick to coL instead of clay,” referring to when the team had the chance to pick up James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks but opted for Aaron ‘TuQuick ’Chang following the benching of Damod ‘FEARS’ Abney during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season. ACHES also answered some typical questions from fans that pop up during any question and answer session. The two-time world champion revealed his all-time favorite teammates as Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, Tyler ‘TeePee’ Polchow and Adam “Assault” Garcia. He also answered questions about which current pros he would like to team with if given the chance. While ACHES responded that he had teamed with almost everyone he’d like to, he revealed that if he had to choose some names, he’d pick OpTic Gaming’s Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Luminosity’s Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman. I’ve teamed with almost everyone I’d like to. Maybe dashy/gunless — Patrick Price (@ACHES) March 22, 2019 While ACHES kept the spiciness of the AMA on the low, giving fans a behind the scenes look into his career makes a change from some of his other social media posts, with his outspoken demeanour often dividing the Call of Duty community.

ACHES reveals biggest concern for Modern Warfare following gameplay reveal – Dexerto
ACHES reveals biggest concern for Modern Warfare following gameplay reveal Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Prince discussed the biggest positives and negatives from Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s gameplay after watching the first multiplayer reveal on July 11. The Call of Duty multiplayer gameplay reveal focused solely on a new 2v2 mode named ‘Gunfight’. As always, the community was extremely excited to check out what was in store in the upcoming addition to the CoD franchise. Envy’s captain ACHES, a two-time Call of Duty world champion and veteran of the competitive scene, was one of the first to comment, citing one key issue with the in-game movement. “something I do not like is how clunky the movement ‘appears’,” he said. “Obviously seeing vs playing is entirely different. But the running, jumping etc looks battlefield-like.” Read more – New Modern Warfare multiplayer details revealed: interactive maps, night vision and more – He seemed disappointed with a possible movement change, and it could spell trouble for the success of Modern Warfare. The Call of Duty games are known for their free-flowing movement and a change like this could cause the game to feel clunky and less responsive than previous titles – something no one wants. But something I do not like is how clunky the movement “appears” Obviously seeing vs playing is entirely different. But the running, jumping etc looks battlefield-like. That we do not like that — Patrick Price (@ACHES) July 11, 2019 It’s not all doom and gloom, however, as ACHES was happy about a change to sprinting and clearly excited about a return of tactical and lethal grenade options; this change would shake things up quite a lot, likely slowing down the game and promoting further use of tactics and strategy, rather than fast-paced aim battles. “Really looks like you can’t sprint into gunfights,” he stated. “Seems like it’ll be all positional advantage. That part I love, at least. Tacitcals/Lethals back in full force too.” But something I do not like is how clunky the movement “appears” Obviously seeing vs playing is entirely different. But the running, jumping etc looks battlefield-like. That we do not like that — Patrick Price (@ACHES) July 11, 2019 Overall the negatives seem to outweigh the positives, but, there is still a lot left to be revealed for the newest iteration of Call of Duty. Luckily for fans of the franchise, the developers have already responded to a number of concerns about the multiplayer experience being ‘too different’. The next gameplay reveal is set to happen on August 1, where we will hopefully be able to find out if the movement is really as clunky as it seems. Until then, casual and competitive players alike will be pouring over every detail revealed so far to try and find any Easter eggs or answers to their ever-growing list of questions.

ACHES Offers to Help Buy Amateur Players out of Contracts – Dexerto
ACHES Offers to Help Buy Amateur Players out of Contracts Evil Geniuses captain Patrick “ACHES” Price has made a peculiar offer to amateur esports players who are stuck in contracts, pledging to invest in them for the long run. ACHES, now a two time Call of Duty World Champion thanks to his win in August with Evil Geniuses, is offering to buy players out of their contracts, provided he is reimbursed three years down the line – with interest added of course. It is unclear if he is referring specifically to players in Call of Duty, or in any esport title. The Fortnite scene particularly is enjoying a boom in young talent, some of which is being snapped up by organizations locking them into contracts. A young Fortnite team recently accused their organization of failing to pay the agreed salary, but also not allowing them to leave by enforcing the rules stipulated in the contract. In Call of Duty, similar issues have cropped up over the years, with players signing contracts which are perhaps ill-advised. In fact, it has occurred in one way or another in almost every major esport. ACHES seems to be serious about his offer, stating he will cover the contract buyout and allow the player to play for whatever team offers them a spot. As for the interest he mentions, which would accrue over the three year period, he says the exact percentage would depend on the amount of the buyout. This was reportedly the case with CS:GO players s1mple and flamie, whom SK Gaming apparently attempted to buyout, but Natus Vincere refused their offer.

ACHES mocks Envy’s CWL Anaheim performance after shocking pool play result – Dexerto
ACHES mocks Envy’s CWL Anaheim performance after shocking pool play result Envy / TwitterTwo-time Call of Duty world champion, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price was shocked by Team Envy’s lack of teamwork after a rough start at CWL Anaheim. Team Envy’s struggles are seeming to continue at CWL Anaheim after they had a rough few weeks during Division B’s CWL Pro League matches. The team is led by ACHES, who was not impressed by the lack of teamwork after their opening day at CWL Anaheim saw them going 0-9 in map count, losing all three of their pool play series on the day. Although Envy were placed in the “Group of Death” alongside GenG, Luminosity and CWL London Champions, 100 Thieves, going into the event many expected the team to possibly be in contention for the second winner’s bracket spot. The biggest upset came when Luminosity Gaming, who are currently in last place in Division A of the CWL Pro League, managed to pull off the 3-0 sweep vs a deflated Envy lineup to finish the day. After their matches had concluded, ACHES shared his disappointment with the 0-3 day to his fans, saying, “Speechless. Really do not understand what happened to our teamwork.” Speechless. Really do not understand what happened to our teamwork. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) June 15, 2019 Team Envy star, Justin ‘SiLLY’ Fargo appeared to share a similar sentiment as his teammate about their pool play matches, replying with a meme which suggested a lack of intelligence while referring to Envy’s teamwork. Aches responded in kind with a similar meme, mocking his squads performance so far at one of the biggest Call of Duty major events of the year, CWL Anaheim. Team Envy’s roster will continue their CWL Anaheim schedule with a Loser’s bracket match vs Team Reciprocity, in hopes of turning things around and making a run deep into the tournament. The final transfer window of the year for CWL Pro League rosters gets underway just after CWL Anaheim, from June 17-20, and it is likely that we will see changes among some of the struggling teams, such as Team Envy, in preparation for the Season finals and CWL Champs 2019.

ACHES mocks how badly LG’s Gunless is being costed by struggling teammates – Dexerto
ACHES mocks how badly LG’s Gunless is being costed by struggling teammates Team Envy / Luminosity Gaming TwitterLuminosity Gaming’s AR Slayer Peirce ‘ CoD scrims to attend EDC 2019, but Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price couldn’t believe his eyes after noticing that was the least of LG’s problems. LG hasn’t had the best 2019 season so far, and with the CWL Pro League is in its eighth week of competition having gone 0-3 in their last group of matches. In a tweet, Call of Duty legend ACHES pulled up the stats from LG’s loss against Reciprocity. While it seemed like he was going to be yet another person to take a dig at Gunless for going to EDC instead of scrimming, the numbers on the stat sheet quickly changed the narrative. ACHES’s tweet seemed reminiscent of all the CoD fans and figures who were trash talking Gunless for going to the weekend music festival, but his team’s performance in their last outing suggested there was a larger problem for the Canadian org “Gunless showed up to Columbus today after being gone the whole weekend at EDC and didn’t even scrim today,” ACHES said. “Wow what an embaras……nvm.” The statline seemed to show Gunless as well as teammate and former World Champion MVP Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper as the only talking points among team. 600Luminosity’s performance seemed to baffle people on the social platform too, with notable figures in the scene wondering what could be the root cause for the team’s lackluster performance. “I don’t even know how this is possible,” eUnited’s Tristan “Spoof” Green said. “They gotta hate each other or something.” How is LG’s season going? Even though LG has some star power behind their rifles, the team has yet to consistently impress in the Pro League with a 5-10 overall record and having only won two maps in their last four games. While the team was able to put on an inspiring run at CWL Forth Worth to get the top honors in the event, they followed it up with a much more lackluster performance at the recent CWL London tournament. LG can still turn their Pro League season around to end on a positive record with seven games left in their schedule, but it will be a very tall ask for them to make it into the Playoffs via a top-four in Division A. LG’s next match is against the lowly UYU on May 21 at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET.

Aches lashes out at new Black Ops 4 CWL Format for saving OpTic Gaming – Dexerto
Aches lashes out at new Black Ops 4 CWL Format for saving OpTic Gaming The Black Ops 4 competitive reveal had a lot of big announcements, but Patrick ‘Aches’ Price isn’t happy about one of them. Amid a variety of changes to the format of the season it was announced that for the first event, CWL Vegas on December 7-9, automatic qualification for pool play will be given to the top-12 teams from CWL Pro League Stage 2 during WWII. Four more will be determined by a play-off between the top-eight teams by Pro Point ranking in WWII. The rule is a departure from previous seasons, in which it was placement at the CWL Championship – the final and biggest event of the year – that determined which teams would carry a pool play spot into the first event of the new title. Read more: New Path to Pro system announced for upcoming CWL season – Amateur Circuit, National Qualifiers, and more – The change means teams that placed well at the CWL Championship might miss out on a chance at pool play, while some that failed to perform on the game’s biggest stage will not suffer for that shortcoming. In the former category, the likes of Elevate, Team Vitality, and Lightning Pandas will miss out on a guaranteed pool play slot that would have been theirs in previous years. Meanwhile, OpTic Gaming, Rise Nation, and Echo Fox – big names that crashed out of Champs early – will qualify based on their Stage 2 result. Read more: Full Format for Black Ops 4 2019 CWL Season and Pro League – pool play, qualification, and roster rules – Aches, who won the WWII CWL Championship with Evil Geniuses, was quick to denounce the change, highlighting OpTic in particular as beneficiaries. MLG’s Adam Apicella responded, stating that they felt that using Pro League results was fairer overall. A pool play spot at the first event of the season will be more significant than ever for Black Ops 4, as further changes to the format mean that teams must reach the top-32 for a shot at a place in the Pro League, which this year will be just a single, extended season. Automatically qualifying for pool play therefore guarantees a chance at making the Pro League, as a minimum placement from pools is top-24. Teams that don’t automatically qualify will instead run the gauntlet of the open bracket, running the risk of setting back their entire season in the notoriously fickle best-of-three matches.

ACHES joins surprise CDL Challengers team following Guerrillas release – Dexerto
ACHES joins surprise CDL Challengers team following Guerrillas release Call of Duty League[jwplayer br5AuoVJ] Two-time Call of Duty world champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price appears to have found a new home in the CDL Challengers circuit less than a week after his release from the Los Angeles Guerrillas. A 10-year veteran, ACHES boasted an illustrious CoD career before getting benched by the Guerrillas in March 2020 and subsequently released in July. But he has surprised everyone, including himself, by suddenly joining a new CDL Challengers roster that will automatically be qualifying for Challengers Finals. As first mentioned by fellow vet Christopher ‘Parasite’ Duarte, who plays for Five Star in Challengers, ACHES will indeed be playing competitively this summer. This, and the new roster he’ll be playing with, has since been confirmed to Dexerto directly by new teammate, Michael ‘Apox’ Williams. The roster will include ACHES, Apox, SpaceLy, ProFeeZy, and TcM – a team with a lot of experience, as each player has been in either the pro or amateur competitive scene for over five years. Patrick ‘ACHES‘ Price – Michael ‘Apox‘ Williams – Christopher ‘ProFeeZy‘ Astudillo – Michael ‘Spacely‘ Schmale – Teegan ‘TcM‘ McCarthy – In a Reddit comment, ACHES dove into the logic behind his surprisingly quick return to competitive play. While many had been hoping for him to drop the sticks and pick up the microphone for CDL Champs this August, he explained that the opportunity was too good to pass up. Upon being contacted by Spacely, a fellow pro since 2012, he decided that, having not played competitively since the end of February, “it would be fun” to join up and compete “for the sake of something to do and attempt to make some cash.” Part of the reason that it’ll be so easy to try and sneak away with some summer cash is that this lineup should auto-qualify for Challengers Finals based on Pro Points alone. ACHES claims to have 40,000 Pro Points, which would put him well within the top 30 of the Challengers’ individual standings. Even if he is able to tap into the $250,000 NA Challengers prize pool, which awards $50,000 for first place before evening out substantially, it’s unclear whether he’ll look to move into a broadcast role or try and join another CDL team for the 2021 season and beyond.

Aches isn’t impressed with the new 100 Thieves Call of Duty recruits – Dexerto
Aches isn’t impressed with the new 100 Thieves Call of Duty recruits The 100 Thieves Call of Duty team confirmed their final two members on September 26, but not everyone was impressed. WWII world champion Patrick ‘Aches’ Price has been on something of a rampage since winning CoD Champs 2018 in August, and has made sure everyone knows that he’s currently on top. After roasting Donny ‘Temp’ Laroda for a Tweet he made over a year ago, he turned his attention to the new 100 Thieves roster. Ian ‘Enable’ Wyatt and Austin ‘Slasher’ Liddicoat were confirmed as the final pieces of the puzzle, joining Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, Maurice ‘Fero’ Henrique and Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams. While praise was heaping in on the team, Aches decided to make his feelings very clear, and pointed out two of their best players had failed to make any impact at CoD Champs. The discussion began when former pro, Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler, heaped praise on 100 Thieves for picking up Octane and Slasher to play side by side. Aches clapped back and claimed NAMELESS must be smoking something. Didn’t those 2 ARs just get T24 and T16 respectively? 1-2 punch AR combo? Nameless smoking that GOOD GOOD. https://t.co/RuPP8eQwQr — Patrick Price (@ACHES) September 27, 2018 NAMELESS and Octane responded, and Aches doubled down by saying from what he saw during the Black Ops 4 Beta, he wasn’t impressed. Could the trash talk come back to bite Aches or will this put more pressure on 100T heading into CWL Vegas? attention in pool play for the first event of the Black Ops 4 season in December.

ACHES is tired of having to play ‘burgers’ in CWL 2Ks – Dexerto
ACHES is tired of having to play ‘burgers’ in CWL 2Ks Call of Duty esports is unique in that anyone can sign up for a 2K tournament and play against the best players in the world. The best players in the world, however, are not getting much out of it. Two-time World Champion ACHES vented his frustrations while playing against a team that was struggling to keep up with his EnVy squad in the early rounds of the first NA 2K. His teammates reminded him that the team they were playing was trying to get better, and was in a position that most pros were in before they made it big. The reasoning did not work as ACHES hilariously unloaded, “I want to get better at basketball, I don’t get to go play LeBron every day!” “LeBron ain’t got time to just play me 1 on 1, or 5v5, or me vs the Lakers,” continued ACHES. The online CWL 2K tournaments have drawn criticism from pros for their size and the amount of time they take to complete, with some tournaments stretching into the early morning hours of the following day. The first Black Ops 4 2K has over 1,000 registered teams, most of which barely put up a fight against pros. Changes to the CWL format have made the Pro Points earned during 2Ks less of a necessity for the top teams in the world, however the events are still used for valuable practice in a competitive setting – just not in the early rounds. ACHES did not just bring up the comparison to the NBA, he also used other esports as an example of CoD’s strange mixing of top pros with amateurs, “I can’t just hop on [League of Legends] every Sunday and be in a game with [SK Telecom].” EnVy finally put the am team out of their misery as ACHES’ hilarious rant continued. You can watch his full musings below.

ACHES hits back at NAMELESS for criticizing Envy’s role changes – “Actually brain dead” – Dexerto
ACHES hits back at NAMELESS for criticizing Envy’s role changes – “Actually brain dead” Team Envy / Joe BradyCall of Duty professional player Patrick ‘ACHES‘ Price and CWL analyst Anthony ‘NAMELESS‘ Wheeler found themselves going at it after the May 27 matches at the CWL Pro League. Division B teams resumed their Pro League action on May 27, with Team Envy facing Denial Esports in the first of two matches on the day. Envy ended up suffering a tight 3-2 defeat at the hands of Denial – a match the featured a role change which saw ACHES using the Maddox and Maurice ‘Fero’ Henriquez going with the ICR. NAMELESS noticed the change in strategy and called it out on Twitter, using some pointed language at ACHES in particular. “Pat swindled the Maddox back?” he tweeted. “Give Fero a Maddox immediately. Pat gotta run a KN on that map.” 450 Inevitably, this tweet was seen by ACHES, who defended himself and his team’s role change by going straight at NAMELESS, calling his narrative “dogsh*t.” “Bro, this dogsh*t narrative is so annoying,” he replied. “Actually brain dead. Y’all did the same thing with LG/Gunless last week. You just make something up and act as if it’s the truth. Fero wanted and asked to run a main ICR because he said he’d be more comfortable using it.” NAMELESS, however, wasn’t having any of it: “Old Pat would have shut that down immediately bro.” 450 The argument grew to a long thread on Twitter, in which both sides stated their case on why the other’s argument was wrong. In several of his tweets, ACHES mentioned Gunless and Luminosity, specifically noting how the analysts had pushed the rhetoric that Gunless had skipped out on team practices to go to EDC, which he claims that LG had been aware of well before-hand. 400 Ultimately, the two veterans decided to settle things down and agree to disagree, with NAMELESS saying that he would toss this spat to post-match loss stress, seeing as how the argument occurred almost right after Envy had lost. Envy slip in CWL Pro League Envy’s loss to the 3-8 Denial Esports was their sixth defeat in 12 games. Couple with Splyce’s dominant 3-0 victory against Enigma6 Group on the same day, the loss sent Envy a full game behind Splyce for the fourth and final automatic Playoff spot. Envy’s loss to Denial on May 27 was a big blow to a team that has three difficult matches coming up. It would have been a major boost had Envy beaten Denial, considering that their next three matches are against Heretics, 100 Thieves, and eUnited, all of whom are currently tied for the best record in Division B. While they still have a very legitimate chance at making the Playoffs directly, Envy will certainly have to start improving their game quickly if they want to make it out of this week in decent shape.

Aches Had a Fantastic Response After EG Landed in OpTic’s Group at CoD Champs – Dexerto
Aches Had a Fantastic Response After EG Landed in OpTic’s Group at CoD Champs DexertoThe bizarre lack of Search and Destroy practice by the top professional Call of Duty teams is a well-documented problem. Despite SnD taking up two out of every five maps in a competitive matchup, the pros prefer to practice Hardpoint and Capture the Flag due to the respawn nature of it. The latest editions of the Evil Geniuses and OpTic Gaming rosters have severely struggled when it has come to SnD, so much so that it prompted EG captain Pat ‘Aches’ Price to joke about it. After EG threw away their chance at making the CWL Pro League Stage Two playoffs, it was down to the teams who did make the final eight to see who they’d be paired up with at CoD Champs 2018. After losing to FaZe Clan and UNILAD to place top eight, OpTic Gaming confirmed their spot in Group H alongside Supremacy and Elevate. Following the news, Aches Tweeted out that at least one of the teams will finally win an SnD. Good news for everyone: Either us or Optic is GUARANTEED an SnD win at Champs 2018. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) July 30, 2018 OpTic fans should, of course, be wary of going up against Aches, as the Ghosts world champion has eliminated the GreenWall at both CoD Champs 2015 and 2016. As the two sides are now paired up in groups, providing there is an upset from either Supremacy or Elevate, there is the chance the OG vs EG matchup could turn into an elimination match. ACHES fires back at NAMELESS in heated CWL Pro League interview – Dexerto
ACHES fires back at NAMELESS in heated CWL Pro League interview Twitch / Call of DutyComing hot off a 3-1 victory over Heretics in the CWL Pro League, Team Envy captain Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price took a dig at his former teammate Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler, now sitting on the analyst desk. The pair last teamed together under Evil Geniuses, in the first half of the CoD: WWII season, but after being dropped from the team, NAMELESS effectively retired. Meanwhile, with their new roster, ACHES went on to win the 2018 Call of Duty World Championship – his second in his long career. On Twitter, NAMELESS had been particularly critical of Envy’s role changes, suggesting Price had “swindled” his teammates so he could run his preferred weapon. After hearing NAMELESS’ suggestions and criticism, the two-time world champion took his chance in the post match interview to silence Wheeler. “I put this guy on the desk, won a world championship,” ACHES said mockingly, “so, I’m not worried about it, this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.” As NAMELESS began to beckon inaudibly from the desk, ACHES simply dismissed his ramblings, concluding “the guy’s insane.” After the broadcast returned to the analyst desk, NAMELESS got in the last word, claiming “he’s going to up here with me soon, we’re going to have a five person desk.” Despite his jokes, ACHES and Envy don’t look like they’re planning on retirement any time soon. Their current record in the Pro League is only narrowly missing out on playoff contention, holding the same 7-6 record as 4th place Splyce. Their next match, against 100 Thieves, will likely be their most challenging yet though, and ACHES will need to carry his confidence from the Heretics match through their remaining fixtures, if they are to secure top four.

ACHES explains why LA Guerrillas can beat Chicago Huntsmen at CDL London – Dexerto
ACHES explains why LA Guerrillas can beat Chicago Huntsmen at CDL London Call of Duty League (YouTube)Los Angeles Guerrillas pro Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has revealed how his team is in good stead to beat Chicago Huntsmen at CDL London. After an explosive start to the Call of Duty League in Minnesota, teams are looking forward to getting stuck into more CDL action. Eight teams are flocking across the pond, where the London Royal Ravens will host the first tournament-based event. With 90 CDL points up for grabs, the Chicago Huntsmen have the opportunity to considerably extend their lead at the top of the standings… But only one person stands in their way. ACHES is a longtime rival of Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez’ organization, having firmly stamped his position as OpTic Gaming’s kryptonite throughout the years. With H3CZ and co. now flying the Chicago Huntsmen banner for NRG, the Guerrillas’ captain still believes he can be their Achilles heel at CDL London. In Guerrillas’ first docuseries (ironically named ‘Hardline’), Price revealed that their squad’s coaching staff is the primary reason why he will be able to take down the Huntsmen in London. “We play Chicago round one of our matches […] the strong suit of our team is we do have a deep coaching staff, and being able to hardcore prepare for one specific team, is where we have an advantage over a lot of other teams,” ACHES revealed. “If we’re playing well, and we upset Chicago, that’s going to be a story in itself, where we can ride that wave,” he continued. “We’re going to spend the next nine days really hardcore preparing for that Chicago match.” Indeed, with Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevils and Ricky ‘Ricky’ Stacy both heading up Guerrillas’ coaching options (alongside Doug Liebe as the squad’s data analyst), the LA-based team will be able to come into their opening match thoroughly prepared. ACHES is one of the most decorated Call of Duty players of all-time, and despite clocking in with the lowest K/D of Launch Weekend, the two-time world champ still believes his squad has got the edge over others in the league. Of course, only time will tell whether the Guerrillas will become the ‘hunters’ or the ‘hunted’ when the lock horns with Scump and co. at CDL London. Both teams are scheduled to go head-to-head at 6AM (PT) / 9AM (ET) / 2PM (GMT), but to be sure you don’t miss a minute of the action, be sure to bookmark our dedicated event hub.

ACHES explains why Envy CoD switched Huke for Gunless – Dexerto
ACHES explains why Envy CoD switched Huke for Gunless Team Envy / MLGTeam Envy captain Patrick ‘ACHES‘ Price has discussed the team’s latest roster moves ahead of the final events of the Black Ops 4 season, which saw Luminosity star Peirce ‘Gunless‘ Hillman join on a loan deal, and Cuyler ‘Huke‘ Garland loaned out to Splyce. The moves came as a surprise to fans, particularly Huke moving to Splyce, as he was generally considered a franchise player for Envy, although the loan deal presumably means he will return to the organization in the future. Gunless comes in to take up a third Maddox role alongside ACHES and Justin ‘SiLLY‘ Fargo, after sitting out CWL Anaheim on LG’s bench, following a turbulent period with his now-former team. In the June 24 episode of the Queue Up podcast from Envy, ACHES and Gunless revealed some of the behind the scenes decision making which led to such a drastic roster shake-up, which also saw the return of main AR player Adam ‘Assault’ Garcia. Discussing the previous roster, ACHES explains “the vibe was completely off”, as their confidence was knocked with a 1-6 record together in the league, leading to their disastrous Anaheim showing, where they failed to win a single map. The two-time World Champion later explains that the previous lineup had a lot of “role issues”, and that there was ‘commotion’ within the team following a “honeymoon period.” Roster discussion at 22:30 minute mark. New roster and Huke leaving The new team will need a ‘transition’ period, ACHES explains, to become comfortable with their roles. “Peirce is an absolute beast, and I think we have a team now where we’re thinking more complex on what our actions mean.” As for Huke’s surprise move to Splyce, ACHES explains that fans often believe that players have more power in the decisions than they do in reality: “I think a lot of fans also don’t realize how much power player’s don’t have, that they used to.” ACHES makes clear that it wasn’t necessarily his own, or any other individual players’ decision to loan out Huke, but rather just the way the deals broke down in the end. Next up for Envy is cross-division play at the CWL Pro League, where they will aim to secure a top four spot to make the finals – but currently in 6th, two wins behind fourth placed Splyce, it will be no easy task.

ACHES explains “massive” CDL concerns citing Faze and Huntsmen schedule – Dexerto
ACHES explains “massive” CDL concerns citing Faze and Huntsmen schedule CDL / Chicago Huntsmen / Atlanta FazeCall of Duty veteran Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price expressed his concerns with the competitive integrity of the Call of Duty League on January 27 after examining the league schedule in the lead up to the London Ravens Home Series. The anticipation for CDL’s inaugural season was mired in controversy on and off the stage. On-the-fly competitive rulings for games in progress and players citing untimely Modern Warfare patches took center stage throughout the weekend in Minnesota. Regardless of the early bumps in the year-long road for the CDL, the weekend’s results are in the books as teams took with them their allotment of CDL points ahead of their Feb 8-9 trip to the United Kingdom. But a since-deleted tweet from the CDL showed how the eight participating teams would break down into groups in London, another point of contention for ACHES that raises “massive” concerns for the league’s commitment to competitive integrity. “Every team has now realized after reviewing the schedule that the Chicago Huntsmen and Atlanta Faze won’t ever be placed in the same group at any of the 8/12 tournaments they compete at,” he said in a series of tweets. The league’s scheduling seems to prevent the two major orgs going up against each other early in events, something that ACHES suggests the league coordinated to build up anticipation. “Kinda funny how these two teams are never in the same group as if the league want the two biggest brands making the basket,” he wrote, noting how every team except for Faze and the Huntsmen matchup up with each other at least once. “Maybe to ensure they have the best chance of making Sunday together for the best possible viewership?“ For a league that has continued to stress competitive integrity being paramount… This is another case that shows the opposite sadly…” Dexerto reached out to the CDL for comment, but has yet to receive a response at the time of publication. I just want to see the League be strong on its values of competitive integrity and with that, succeed for many years to come. If that means pointing out massive flaws in the current system in order to get changes that create a healthier system long term. Then so be it. — PATTYP (@ACHES) January 27, 2020 Orgs entering the league had to brand their teams around the cities they represent, but personnel changes and big name teams dominated the preseason buzz. Atlanta Faze was instantly a home name for many with the world-wide brand bringing instant recognition only complimented by their insane lineup of young guns. Meanwhile the Huntsmen, led by former OpTic Gaming head Hector ‘HECZ’ Rodriguez, inherited a ton of Greenwall fans after the off-season changing of the guard at OG, along with a new team starring OpTic alums Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper. https://twitter.com/ACHES/status/1221916538220843008 During the first weekend, ACHES was critical of the league on and off the Armory’s stage in the aftermath of the Los Angeles Guerrillas and Minnesota RØKKR decision that eventually saw a potential 3-0 sweep for LA turn into a 3-1 win for the home team. Now teams will be setting their sights for London for the next iteration of the Call of Duty League.

ACHES explains his biggest issue with competitive CoD in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
ACHES explains his biggest issue with competitive CoD in Black Ops 4 Team Envy pro Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has revealed the one overriding issue he has with Black Ops 4 competitive play, following the most recent update on December 3. The update brought some minor tweaks to hardpoint spawns on maps Seaside and Hacienda, as well as unrestricting certain items from the CWL ruleset. But, ACHES has an issue with one of the core gameplay features in use across regular multiplayer and competitive play – the ‘Fog of War’. The Fog of War paints nearby enemies on the map. Replacing the traditional mini-map indicators, which would place a red dot on the map when an enemy player fired their weapon, the Fog of War now reveals players on the map when in a teammate’s field of view. It was a controversial change, initially because it gave players 360 degree coverage, which was later reduced to a cone-shaped view in front of players only. While complaints from the casual community have died down, ACHES still feels that the Fog of War has no place in competitive play. Honestly the patch fixed a lot of bugs that the game had, but my biggest issue is that we’re still playing with fog of war that literally sees ppl through walls for your teammates. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) December 3, 2018 He isn’t the only professional player to feel this way either, as both 100 Thieves player Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and Red Reserve’s Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris agreed. SlasheR points out that it is “gifting free info”, the sort of which has never been granted before in competitive Call of Duty – and is one of the main reasons scorestreaks like UAV are restricted. However, the Fog of War is one of Black Ops 4’s signature features, one that Treyarch has been keen to show off, and so, just like specialists, it is unlikely that they relent on its use in competitive. Perhaps they will look to restrict its effectiveness, tailoring it to competitive play, like has been done with certain specialist abilities. For example, Recon’s ‘Sensor Dart’ has been reduced to only one ping in competitive play, and something similar could maybe be done with Fog of War.

Envy’s ACHES furious with equipment issues following CWL London elimination – Dexerto
Envy’s ACHES furious with equipment issues following CWL London elimination Call of Duty captain Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has revealed that his squad had to play through their losers bracket semi-finals match with major technical issues, angry that they were made to play on regardless. After making a few roster moves, Team Envy headed to CWL London with a fresh line-up – still being led by the two-time world champion, ACHES. However, things didn’t go as they had probably planned – finishing up the Pool Play portion of the event with a 1-2 record and last place in Pool C. Despite falling into the losers bracket, Team Envy proved to a be tough out as they moved on and took out top names like Luminosity Gaming and Splyce on their way through. Yet, they were swept by eUnited in the Losers bracket semi-finals. Audio issues affect Envy vs eUnited However, Team Envy ran into some major issues which may have affected their ability to match their opponents – as ACHES tweeted post-game: “Unacceptable that tournament equipment doesn’t work properly and we have to “play through it” GGs EU. Placed T4.” While the Envy captain didn’t reveal what had plagued his team during the game, Justin ‘SiLLy’ Fargo followed up by explaining that he played the second map of the series without sound and the ability to communicate. Unacceptable that tournament equipment doesn’t work properly and we have to “play through it” GGs EU. Placed T4. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) May 5, 2019 GGs eunited, blew the first map and played most of the second one without sound/ comms! ACHES details changes he would make to the CWL ruleset for Black Ops 4 season – Dexerto
ACHES details changes he would make to the CWL ruleset for Black Ops 4 season MLG/MediumTeam Envy Call of Duty captain Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has revealed which changes he would like to see made to the CoD World League competitive ruleset for the upcoming Black Ops 4 season. The first version of the CWL ruleset for Black Ops 4 was revealed on October 26, with many aspects of it being heavily debated among the competitive CoD community. ACHES, who is arguably the most outspoken of all the pro players, was quick to point out which parts of the ruleset he did not agree with, and now has offered his version of what he feels should be the competitive format. “Some map/rule/game suggestions for CWL and Treyarch. Any other changes are pretty much altering how they designed the game, which isn’t my place to suggest,” he tweeted. “So these are small things I think would make the game feel much better competitively.” Here are the maps that ACHES thinks should be implemented into the rotation for all three game modes: Hardpoint Arsenal – Frequency – Gridlock – Hacienda – Seaside – Contraband/Summit (Pick 1) – – Search and Destroy Arsenal – Frequency – Hacienda – Gridlock – Payload – Firing Range/Morocco/Seaside (Pick 1) – – Control Arsenal – Frequency – Gridlock – Seaside – Payload – – Noticeably missing from the list above is Slums Hardpoint, which ACHES addressed in a subsequent tweet. “I love HP Slums just as much as anyone. But in 5v5 with how BO4 is played, it is not the same map nor does it play even remotely how it did in BO2. 5v5 makes that map far too easy to hold hills because the very limited amount of lanes on the map. It plays the words of any HP map.” In addition to the revised map rotation, here is a full list of all changes that ACHES proposed be made to the current version of the ruleset. However, with CWL Vegas just around the corner, it’s unlikely that any wholesale or fundamental changes will be made to the ruleset before then.

ACHES criticizes “$300m” CDL after map forfeit at Launch Weekend – Dexerto
ACHES criticizes “$300m” CDL after map forfeit at Launch Weekend MLG/ActivisionLA Guerrillas’ pro, Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price, has lashed out at the Call of Duty League after an incident which forced his team to forfeit S&D versus Minnesota RØKKR. The Call of Duty League got off to an explosive start in Minneapolis on January 24, with the first three games showcasing the very best of what Modern Warfare has to offer. From a heated eClásico between Chicago Huntsmen and Dallas Empire to a drama-filled bout between hosts Minnesota RØKKR and Los Angeles Guerrillas, the first day alone provided fans with plenty to talk about. However, two-time world champ, ACHES, was vocal about his team’s second map forfeit versus the home side. After beating RØKKR 6-3 in Search & Destroy on Piccadilly, Price and co. were heading into Domination, intent on sweeping the series 3-0. However, in a dramatic turn of events, a member of the Guerrillas squad enabled Hardline (currently restricted according to the current competitive settings), which forced the side to forfeit the map… Leaving the series evenly poised at 1-1. After a lengthy pause, both squads resumed the series. However, the momentum seemed to swing in favor of RØKKR after the restart, and the team would go on to win back-to-back respawn game modes to close out the series. ACHES immediately weighed in on the ordeal (which proved to be a turning point in the series), by pointing the finger towards Modern Warfare developers, Infinity Ward. He didn’t even have specialist on. So the perk he accidentally had on due to IW fucking up CDL rules and us having to do some workaround that caused him to have hardline on didnt even effect anything. — PATTYP (@ACHES) January 25, 2020 Us being up 2-0 Full momentum waxing their ass vs getting forfeited a bit different but alright. — PATTYP (@ACHES) January 25, 2020 The Guerrillas captain later vented his frustrations on the matter by stating: “The fact that sh*t like this happens in a 300 million dollar league is f**king insane.” https://twitter.com/ACHES/status/1220931731735400448 Price wasn’t the only player to be vexed by the incident, with some of his fellow teammates joining him in articulating their thoughts on Twitter. https://twitter.com/UAquaa/status/1220930084552564736 https://twitter.com/SaintsNato/status/1220937587713593344 Not only does hardline only affect killstreaks, he didn’t even have specialist on. ALSO alexx earned spec bonus and it gives you hardline in that ALSO the CDL rules has the banned perks and left hardline unbanned 😂😂 #RokkrKickoff — d3ce ☔️ (@Decemate) January 25, 2020 There appears to be some confusion among pros, in light of the competitive settings receiving an update on January 23. Jacob ‘Decemate’ Cato stated that Hardline had been left “unbanned” despite the most recent ruleset listing the perk under the ‘Restricted Items’ list. Given the drama which ensued, Activision will likely be looking to clarify what is and isn’t acceptable with pros ahead of the rest of the weekend’s action. ACHES, Crimsix and SlasheR lock horns over Search and Destroy in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
ACHES, Crimsix and SlasheR lock horns over Search and Destroy in Black Ops 4 DexertoOpTic’s Ian Crimsix Porter, Envy’s Patrick ACHES Price and 100 Thieves’ Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat have gone back and forth once again about strategy in Search and Destroy. Since the release of Black Ops 4, fans and players have been split on whether or not Search and Destroy needs to be changes. With the game lacking utility grenades like smokes, the game mode can become a kill fest – removing the tactical side of the game mode from years gone by. In a screenshot shared by ACHES, the 2018 world champion and SlasheR can be seen complaining about how the game mode plays in the new title. The pair even compared this year’s game to the previous release, Call of Duty: World War II, saying S&D worked better in that title. “Less strategy more gunny is seen as better nowadays you guys didn’t hear?” said SlasheR, to which ACHES replied: “Deadass. 1 Dimensional players are preferred.” More: OpTic Gaming continue dominance while some big teams fall early in CMG ProDown #3 tournament – Day 1 recap, scores & brackets, and more – Despite the pairing complaining about the state of Search and Destroy, Crimsix offered a different point of view. “Hahahah. Guys are clowns,” he replied, clearly finding humor in what had already been said. ACHES has been vocal about having more strategy in Black Ops 4’s competitive Search and Destroy games. The two-time World Champion has already called for changes to specialists and for the introduction of smoke grenades into the game. He continued that crusade in the Twitter conversation. However, Crimsix was less than receptive to his calls for grenades, replying: “That’s fucking wack Pat. You want strategy go play a different game. This is COD.” It would appear that Crim’s final statement about strategy was what prompted ACHES to share the screenshots of the conversation. The former compLexity and Evil Geniuses teammates clearly don’t see eye-to-eye on this particular subject. Changes have already been made to the Call of Duty competitive landscape with the addition of the new specialist – Zero. It remains to be seen if Treyarch will look to revamp Search and Destroy by heeding ACHES’ calls for utility grenades.

ACHES calls out OpTic’s Crimsix and fellow CoD pros over controversial Zero specialist – Dexerto
ACHES calls out OpTic’s Crimsix and fellow CoD pros over controversial Zero specialist DexertoTeam Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has called out a number of his fellow Call of Duty professionals, including OpTic’s Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter, for their opinions on the new Zero specialist. The Zero specialist was only added to Black Ops 4 on December 1 and has already split opinion. It’s incredibly powerful ‘Icepick’ specialist ability allows a player to hack the enemy team and disrupt their own specialists whilst also taking over any active killstreaks. However, Treyarch has already announced a nerf to the specialist which is set to be rolled out on December 18. Whilst a number of pro players have admitted to being confused about how it works, those who have practised since it’s addition have tried to capitalize on its powerful abilities. The specialist has a big fan in the 2018 World Champion, Aches. After many complaints about the specialist during the CMG ProDown tournament, ACHES tweeted: “Got pro players having no idea what Zeros specialist ability does and claiming it needs to go LOL. Crim thought it stole their teams 200 health.” Read More: OpTic Gaming win $2,500 CMG ProDown Black Ops 4 tournament #3 – recap, highlights, and final placements – The two-time World Champion had already sung the praises of the addition of Zero, tweeting “Super happy Treyarch added her,” earlier on December 17. Got pro players having no idea what Zeros specialist ability does and claiming it needs to go LOL. Crim thought it stole their teams 200health hahahahahaah — Patrick Price (@ACHES) December 18, 2018 OpTic’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner did not believe he was being truthful, replying to his tweet with “/s,” implying that ACHES was being sarcastic with his tweets. However, Aches replied: “I’m being serious. I actually think it’s what this game needed. Some counter play of sorts finally. She needs to stay in.” Scump still wasn’t buying it and replied with multiple crying laughing emojis. The Envy captain then clapped back at Scump, tweeting: “you guys think Zeros icepick steals crashes 200. So prayers.” you guys think Zeros icepick steals crashes 200. So prayers. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) December 18, 2018 The OpTic Gaming captain had already made his feelings known about the new specialist just after day one of the third CMG ProDown tournament. In a sweet and short tweet from December 16, Scump stated: “Zero gotta go.” It remains to be seen if Zero can have an impact in competitive Call of Duty or if the specialist will be banned under the World League rules like a number of other overpowered specialists. If it’s use goes to the dreaded Gentlemen’s Agreement vote, however, it will have at least one vocal supporter in ACHES.

ACHES calls CDL’s Scump tribute “extremely disrespectful” to Crimsix & Karma – Dexerto
ACHES calls CDL’s Scump tribute “extremely disrespectful” to Crimsix & Karma MLGTwo-time Call of Duty world champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price has called the Call of Duty League “disrespectful,” after he claimed they showed their gratitude and respect towards the retired Seth ‘Scump’ Abner — but failed to do the same for Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter or Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow. On January 17, Scump shocked the Call of Duty world by announcing his retirement earlier than expected, calling it quits after OpTic Texas’ first batch of matches in Major 2 qualifiers. What followed was an outpouring of support from fans, content creators, pros, retired players, professional athletes, and more. Naturally, as the face of the game for over a decade now, the CDL itself paid its respects too, putting together video packages and highlight reels to show between matches. While many fans loved to see the moments of Scump throughout the years, it didn’t quite sit right with some people, due mainly to other legends of the game not getting similar treatment. As ACHES said in the latest episode of the Reverse Sweep podcast, he actually found it “extremely disrespectful” that Crimsix and Karma failed to get the same treatment that Scump did. “I know that Scump is by far and away, the most important — him and Nadeshot — to the Call of Duty competitive space ever,” he explained. “But I do want to call out the CDL here, because it’s honestly extremely disrespectful that they’ve done this. “When I retired, nothing. When Crim retired, nothing. When Damon retired, nothing. Obviously Seth got, as he should, as every player should, got their moment and recognition where a big deal was made … There’s been a ton of legendary Call of Duty players who put 10+ years of their life into this space, into making this community everything that it could be. And they were never given their flowers by the CDL.” Timestamp 1:00:24 Obviously, Scump is Call of Duty’s biggest name, so it’s no surprise that the CDL would pull out all the bells and whistles for this huge moment in COD esports history. However, according to Crimsix’s former coach DREAL, there were plans for a commemorative piece similar to that for Scump — but it never saw the light of day. While Scump may now be retired, he’s not out of the Call of Duty scene completely: in fact, his CDL Watch Party for qualifiers this past weekend was peaking higher than the official COD League stream.

ACHES calls OpTic “trashcans” while hitting out at CoD for only promoting Scump – Dexerto
ACHES calls OpTic “trashcans” while hitting out at CoD for only promoting Scump The rivalry between Team Envy’s Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and OpTic Gaming seems to be living on for yet another season of competitive Call of Duty. The two-time World Champion pro player did not hold back when expressing his opinion about the OpTic, calling their team “trashcans” live on his Twitch stream. “I ain’t salty, I 3-0’ed the fuck out of those trashcans,” he said. “They weren’t even at the arena when we were supposed to play.” ACHES is, of course, referring to the infamous 3-0 sweep that he and his former Evil Geniuses team completed against OpTic at the recent 2018 CWL Championship, which eliminated OpTic from the tournament while still in group play. These inflammatory comments came after ACHES went on a rant about how Call of Duty and the CoD World League publicly supported and promoted OpTic captain Seth ‘Scump’ Abner’s Twitch stream, which had historic success on November 6. Streaming the later rounds of the first NA CWL 2K tournament of Black Ops 4, Scump surpassed 100,000 concurrent viewers, which prompted both the CoD and CWL Twitter accounts to tweet out a link to his stream while it was still live. ACHES was not comfortable with the fact that the actual developers of the game and managers of its competitive scene were so eager to promote a single player and team, while not offering the same treatment to other pro players and organizations. @CODWorldLeague I wanna see you tweeting out other pro players streams as well this year. — Patrick Price (@ACHES) November 6, 2018 “Just think about it like this: let’s say a bunch of new fans come into the scene. Well, guess what? Now automatically, because the motherfucking developer, publish, CWL team is promoting one team. That is bullshit! And if you don’t think it’s bullshit, you are just drunk, and blind, and stupid, and naive, and you have no experience in anything.” It’s safe to say that ACHES does not have a direct issue with the public support of Scump and his stream, but would also like to see CoD and the CWL ensure that the same treatment is dispersed equally among others as well, even if it doesn’t include him. “If they tweeted out block ACHES, I would not care,” he said.

ACHES announced as LA Guerrillas franchise captain – Dexerto
ACHES announced as LA Guerrillas franchise captain Los Angeles Guerrillas, one of two Call of Duty franchises making the famous Californian city their home, have announced two-time world champion Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price as their captain for the upcoming CDL season. Los Angeles is the only city involved in the CDL to have two separate franchises competing over the same share of land. The first of these franchises, owned by OpTic Gaming, is aptly named OpTic Gaming Los Angeles. They announced their impressive roster on October 24, featuring a number of the most talented youngsters in the world. Dashy and TJHaLy, who both competed for the Greenwall during Black Ops 4, are joined by JKap, Slasher and Kenny. However, it’s their neighbors who have made waves with their latest announcement, confirming late on October 25 that their roster will be led by none other than Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price, a world champion on CoD: Ghosts and WWII. Away from his undeniable achievements in the competitive CoD world, ACHES is sometimes colloquialized as the “OpTic Killer”, thanks to his aversion for the Greenwall, and habit of knocking them out of the biggest tournaments at the biggest moments. The prospect of ACHES being based in the same city as OpTic’s franchise is a mouth-watering prospect, and we can expect to see the rivalry burn on throughout the Modern Warfare season. As the Guerrillas put it: “The Battle for LA begins”. The Battle for LA Begins… Today we welcome @ACHES as Team Captain of the Los Angeles Guerrillas! #HoodsUp pic.twitter.com/K1oHCbgXnC — Los Angeles Guerrillas (@LAGuerrillas) October 26, 2019 Of all the famous ACHES vs OpTic moments, few stand out more than the famous Map 5, Round 11 at Black Ops III’s CWL Championship. OpTic entered the tournament hot favorites, but struggled in Search and Destroy and fell into the Losers’ Bracket. There, they came up against ACHES’ Cloud 9 roster, who dramatically eliminated OpTic as FormaL lost a 1v1 vs Assault. The remaining members of LA Guerrillas’ roster are yet to be confirmed but, with ACHES leading the line, it’s fair to say we can expect to see them competing and being vocal members of the Call of Duty League. Read More: Modern Warfare v1.04 patch notes – It seems ACHES will have to channel his aversion for OpTic Gaming and use it to fuel his Call of Duty across the year. It’s just another of the intriguing story-lines being set up in the CDL.

ACHES and KiLLa lock horns over banning FMJ in Black Ops 4 – Dexerto
ACHES and KiLLa lock horns over banning FMJ in Black Ops 4 Adam ‘KiLLa’ Sloss and Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price have been a part of the competitive Call of Duty community for so long that they’re practically part of the furniture, but that doesn’t mean they always see eye to eye. That point was hammered home late on November 11 when the two veteran players locked horns over the user of FMJ in Black Ops 4. ACHES, never one to shy away from speaking his mind, took to Twitter to say: “FMJ HAS GOT TO GO IN SND,” clearly feeling that the extra bullet penetration that the attachment provides is too powerful in that particular mode. But KiLLa, who was once regarded as one of the very best Search and Destroy players on the planet, clearly felt that removing it would be a step in the wrong direction. “Yea man just ban anything that’s situational or creative and we’ll all use the same guns for another year. You gotta stop this,” said the 2013 Call of Duty World Champion to the man that took the title in 2014 and 2017. yea man just ban anything thats situational or creative and well all use the same guns for another year . u gotta stop this — Adam “”KiLLa”” Sloss (@KiLLa_Sloss) November 12, 2018 ACHES stood his ground, arguing that wallbanging a bomb while someone is planting or defusing should not be possible, but KiLLa once again fired back, suggesting that ACHES was being biased: “Working the kid playing the wallbang is where you get creative. The problem is some of the maps and not the attachments. I agree with most things you say but this is clearly bias and u probably just got smacked on Firing Range snd.” working the kid playing the wallbang is where u get creative . the problem is some of the maps and not the attachments . i agree with most things u say but this is clearly bias and u prolley just got smacked on firing range snd — Adam “”KiLLa”” Sloss (@KiLLa_Sloss) November 12, 2018 It would appear that the rest of the professional scene is somewhat split on the issue. FaZe Clan’s Preston ‘Priestahh’ Greiner and 100 Thieves’ Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat seemed to agree that being able to shoot through bombs is not a good thing, but Priestahh’s teammate, Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, is just happy that he can finally wallbang! It will be interesting to see how much the FMJ attachment is used in Search and Destroy once the season truly gets underway at CWL Las Vegas in December. Wait you think because it can wall bang bombsites it should stay? ACHES and Crimsix debate toxic fanbases in Call of Duty – Dexerto
ACHES and Crimsix debate toxic fanbases in Call of Duty Call of Duty veteran pro players Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter locked horns on November 19, debating issues around the fanbase and how the community treats different teams. Both ACHES and Crimsix have spent the majority of their playing careers at the top level, even dominating together under the legendary CompLexity/Evil Geniuses roster of Black Ops II and Ghosts. But, the pair have been on separate rosters in the years since – with a fierce rivalry brewing between them. As Crimsix made up one-fourth of the OpTic dynasty, ACHES stood in his way at many major events. Crimsix has now left OpTic, joining the Team Envy-owned Dallas Empire for the Call of Duty League. While ACHES captain’s LA OpTic’s rival, Los Angeles Guerillas. On November 19, Porter hit back at a fan who suggested that OpTic was responsible for his “personality”, arguing that the fan was display signs of cultish behavior. ACHES was quick to respond, saying he “lost full” when seeing the post, arguing that Crimsix had never objected when the popularity of the organization “worked in his favor”. Everytime I see these tweets I lose full. You didn’t mind this for 5 years when it worked in your favor. Don’t bitch about it now. This has been a thing the whole time. — PATTYP (@ACHES) November 19, 2019 Although Crimsix did not respond to the LA Guerillas captain directly, he continued on the same train of thought, suggesting the CoD fanbase need to change. “I’m all for fans supporting whatever team you like,” he began. “But just because you support one, that doesn’t mean bash anyone/everyone else. The COD community needs to change. Let’s make the scene even better.” When commenters highlighted the fierce rivalries that play out in traditional sports, Crimsix argued that esports “[does] not have the same luxuries as traditional sports” and so comparisons were “not fair.” Esports, for the time being, do not have the same luxuries as traditional sports. I don’t think comparisons between the two are fair. But that’s just me. 🤷♂️ — FaZe Crimsix (@Crimsix) November 19, 2019 Current OpTic player, Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, highlighted what he saw as a slight hypocrisy in Crim’s point. Alluding to a series of YouTube titles from the player such as “WHAT IS THIS FAKE OPTIC TEAM EVEN DOING?!?” The two-time world champion simply joked that he was “trying to get views on his dead channel.” Get those views lol I have no problem with your titles. Just Feel like this tweet would’ve been more appropriate before the team swap. — 🇵🇭OpTic Kenny (@Kuavo) November 19, 2019 Some fans argued a similar point to Kenny’s – that Crimsix’s recent uploads have been fuel to the fire on an already existing rivalry between him and his former teammates, namely Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly. On the other hand, these types of rivalries have always existed and flourished in Call of Duty esports, and will likely be crucial to driving further fan engagement as the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League begins.

Ace Asim: How the CoD Pro stunned his former team – Dexerto
Ace Asim: How the CoD Pro stunned his former team The CDL Super Week had a story of redemption unfolding in an impressive way after New York Subliners’ Obaid ‘Asim’ Asim stunned his former team, the Minnesota RØKKR in a 3-0 fashion. In the 2020 campaign, Asim was one of the stronger parts of the RØKKR’s lineup. But the league saw a major shift in rosters after Cold War’s 4v4 format forced every team to make some changes. One of those changes saw Asim getting dropped by the org before eventually teaming up with James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks on the newly-shaped Subliners roster. While the project is still coming together, Asim was firing on all cylinders in his game against MIN. On Map 1, Asim was a nuisance all over for Preston ‘Priestahh’ Greiner, Michael ‘MajorManiak’ Szymaniak, and the rest of the RØKKR. Asim led Subliners with 22 kills and 5 deaths on a quick Hardpoint map that ended with a 250-62 scoreline. And it was much of the same in the next game of S&D. Asim, along with Conor ‘Diamondcon’ Johst, throttled the RØKKR’s attempts at a site and eviscerated their defense, shutting out the team 6-0. But no single player makes up a team. While Asim cooled off in the final map, the rest of the Subliners showed up in a huge way to cap off the series against the Canadians former team. Asim’s recent form in the CDL has been propelling the Subliners to better results and something fans hope will keep up as the season goes on.

Accuracy reveals the reason behind Minnesota ROKKR’s rapid CDL rise – Dexerto
Accuracy reveals the reason behind Minnesota ROKKR’s rapid CDL rise Minnesota ROKKR / ActivisionLamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi has disclosed the secrets behind Minnesota’s ROKKR’s rapid rise to the upper echelons of the Call of Duty League, as they look to break into top three teams in Stage 3. Minnesota ROKKR, like a few Call of Duty League sides, have seen their roster change considerably going into the second CDL season. Proven talents like SiLLY, Assault and Asim have moved on, making way for the roster of Accuracy, Attach, Priestahh and MajorManiak. In Stage 1, the roster showed promise but were ultimately eliminated swiftly at the Major by Toronto Ultra. A poor start to Stage 2 – losing their first two matches 3-0 – prompted the inclusion of rookie Eli ‘Standy’ Bentz. Since that move, the ROKKR have been proving one of the top teams in the league. Their next 5 matches were completed with a 4-1 record and, after an impressive fourth-place finish at the Stage 2 Major, Accuracy has let Dexerto know exactly how they’ve managed it. However, Accuracy highlights teammate Priestahh as key in the ROKKR’s improved form. When discussing why Standy replaced MajorManiak, he explained that the role change allowed by the move has seen Priestahh return to his best form. Read More: Scump calls on CoD devs to improve new maps – “The reason why it couldn’t be Preston is because Preston is one of the rare S-Tier players in Call of Duty,” he explained. “When you have someone like that on your team, whether they’re underperforming or not, you will always have faith in them. We knew, and the coaches knew and everyone knew, the whole community knew that Preston is exponentially better than [how] he was performing at the time. And the role switch is probably what would’ve brought it out of him.” Back in FORM 💪 @AccuracyLA explains why @Priestahh is @ROKKR’s key to success.#CDL2021 | #ROKKR pic.twitter.com/fk8zPxe72k — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 24, 2021 The role change saw Standy become a main SMG player, alongside Attach, while Priestahh has been able to switch back to a flex role – meaning he can rock an AR or SMG, depending on the situation the team finds themselves in. As Accuracy states, the role change, paired with Standy’s own impressive start, has unlocked some of Priestahh’s best form. He has proved himself a top player in the past, winning multiple tournaments with Atlanta FaZe in Modern Warfare, and 100 Thieves in Black Ops 4. The ROKKR will be looking to break into the league’s top three during Stage 3, which started with the London Royal Ravens’ Home Series.

Accuracy responds to heavy criticism of New York Subliners roster – Dexerto
Accuracy responds to heavy criticism of New York Subliners roster YouTube: New York SublinersNew York Subliners star Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi has responded to his team’s critics calling them a “friendship team” after a disappointing start to the Call of Duty League. When the starting roster of Accuracy, Donovan ‘Temp’ Laroda, Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris, Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, and Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto was first announced, it sounded brilliant on paper, but it slowly became apparent as the season progressed that they weren’t performing to the standard they should be. Many fans thought the substitutes for the Subliners were underwhelming, too, with both Doug ‘Censor’ Martin and Nick ‘Happy’ Suda having been vacant from the pro scene in recent years. The Subliners were quickly criticized for being a “friendship team,” a term used for picking up players based on social ties rather than in-game ability, and now Accuracy has hit back at that notion in a video posted by the team on April 2. In the extended version of the video, Abedi talks about his come-up in the Call of Duty scene and the sacrifices he had to make to go pro, but in a short snippet posted to Twitter, he directly calls out people who call New York a “friendship team.” “Everyone in CoD is basically friends,” he said. “So when I see everyone saying ‘Oh, Subliners are just friends,’ it doesn’t make sense to me. It just makes me think, like, do you guys not want us to be friends?” “Do you guys not want us to be friends?” Accuracy addresses “friendship team” criticisms and talks about his Call of Duty Journey, from winning championships, to being dropped, to his fight to be back on top.@AccuracyLA tells all in #NYSL Origins.https://t.co/gAeoGRSRwZ pic.twitter.com/8oD0OwwETH — Subliners (@Subliners) April 2, 2020 He went on to explain that as a team you want to have fun with your teammates, you want to enjoy their presence, as you’re spending all day together and working with them for several hours a day. The response was met with some criticism, with one Reddit user saying that he “misses the point,” while another suggests that “the friendship between him and the team is the only reason why Zer0 is benched and he’s not.” Accuracy makes a valid point when he says that all teams are – and should be – friends, because you have to get along with these people to gel with them in-game as well as out. Whether fans are pleased with the response, though, is another question.

Accuracy and Rated hit out at Parasite for calling them “bots” on stream – Dexerto
Accuracy and Rated hit out at Parasite for calling them “bots” on stream There was plenty of drama to go around the competitive Call of Duty community on March 20, and the latest clash on Twitter involved Splyce’s Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi and Midnight Esports’ Christopher ‘Parasite’ Duarte. With the community still reeling from the verbal lashing that eUnited’s Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan had given James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks on Twitter, Accuracy decided join in on the fun, sending a malicious tweet out at Parasite: “Keep my name out of your mouth you shit can.” After Parasite spammed a bunch of question marks to express his confusion at the attack, Accuracy came back with an even tougher response. “You throw shade on stream and are confused as to why I’m confronting you and then wonder why no one fucks with you,” he tweeted. “Win more than two fucking maps at the tournament before you come back talking crazy about any other player.” In a clip taken from his stream, Parasite can be heard saying that players like Accuracy, Red Reserve’s Rated, and UYU’s Parzelion were not as good as their stats would suggest, to put it in mild terms. “The high K/D, low score per minute, basically those are the guys that don’t do anything for their team, just L-trigger and hope they do things,” he said. “AKA the slugs, the turtles, the bots, the guys that I absolutely fry. People like Parzelion, Rated, Accuracy.” With the situation a lot more clarified, Parasite and Accuracy, and later Rated, engaged in a war of words, sending insults flying at each other on Twitter. Accuracy and Rated were trying to make the point that Parasite should not be making such comments considering his recent lack of results, pointing out Midnight’s devastatingly poor performance at CWL Fort Worth. Meanwhile, Parasite was essentially saying that these players were not nearly contributing as much as they teammates, and hence their stats and accomplishments are not indicative of their true skill level. While the war of words seemed to have ended between the three pro players, it’s unlikely that this drama will end here, especially since Splyce and Midnight are set to square off in the CWL Pro League on April 1.

Accuracy Explains Why He Can Come Across as Having a Chip On His Shoulder: “A lot of people know what they’re doing when they’re manipulating their fan bases” – Dexerto
Accuracy Explains Why He Can Come Across as Having a Chip On His Shoulder: “A lot of people know what they’re doing when they’re manipulating their fan bases” Team Kaliber’s Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi has explained why he comes across as having “a chip on his shoulder” during episode six of the CoD Cast. After years of struggling to reach the top of the competitive Call of Duty scene, Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi finally achieved his goal by winning back-to-back events at CWL Dallas and CWL New Orleans following the release of CoD: WWII. Since then the 21 year old has found himself in the middle of a number of rather public debates that have, at times, put him at odds with prominent members of the community and competitive Call of Duty fans. However, Accuracy has regularly taken to Twitter to state that he is simply being real and saying the things that all the other professional players are saying behind the scenes. During Episode 6 of the CoD Cast on May 9th, Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler decided to ask Accuracy why he sometimes comes across as someone that has such a big chip on his shoulder. The TK player concentrated particularly on the comments from some fans about him not achieving a great deal prior to Call of Duty WWII, reminding them that he was the victim of a very unlucky situation during Advanced Warfare as a part of Aware Gaming. “I saw that Reddit post that guy made about my biography or whatever and like in Advanced Warfare I had like a great team with Huke, who was like best player in the game, TJ, and Happy. […] And then right after that my League Spot got sold to TCM and we were just kicked out of the league and we couldn’t even requalify. […] Did everyone forget about that? That’s insane.” His troubles didn’t end there, though, as he found himself stuck in a contract situation during Black Ops 3 with a buyout price that he and NAMELESS say was unrealistic at the time. He was playing with Cloud9 for a short period of time before being loaned out to Counter Logic Gaming during Season 1. However, he remained contracted to Cloud9 for Season 2 and potential new teams were unable to meet his buyout price. “I was on Cloud9 for a little bit and then they loaned me to CLG for like the remainder of Season 1 and then we like choked requalifying for the League and then Cloud9’s new team qualified for the League. […] Going into Season 2 I had to League offers to join eLevate or Luminosity and I wasn’t playing for the Cloud9 roster […] but the owner wanted a very strong buyout for me that like wasn’t normal at the time in Call of Duty even though I wasn’t playing for the team.” NAMELESS describes the situation as “absurd” and Accuracy recalls that he was held to the contract until the end of Season 2 while the other teams picked up other players. On the topic of always speaking his mind, Accuracy explains that he will never change who he is and believes that the fans need to be aware that some people act differently behind closed doors. “I think it’s really important because a lot of the fans don’t know but behind the scenes all of the pros, we’re all good friends, we all know how each other really acts and really are and what they really think. […] Whenever there’s a livestream on or whenever they’re on social media they act or have different views that are like completely different to what they say in private and I personally just don’t like that at all. A lot of people know what they’re doing when they’re manipulating their fan bases or their personal fans or whatever into believing something when they know that’s not the full truth of the situation.” NAMELESS points out that there are two sides to that story though, reminding Accuracy that professional players have to maintain a certain level of professionalism in the public eye. However, Accuracy says that he doesn’t believe anything that he says is particularly unprofessional and he feels as though he often receives the backlash for saying things that most other players are also thinking. Of course, there are some opinions that aren’t shared by all of the other professionals, like his stance on coaches which caused an argument between numerous players on May 9th. The full VoD of the CoD Cast can be found below with Accuracy’s “chip on the shoulder” discussion beginning at the three minute mark.

Splyce confirm CoD roster change amid Gunless speculation – Dexerto
Splyce confirm CoD roster change amid Gunless speculation MLGUpdate: It looks like some of the rumors have turned out to be true as Splyce announced on June 3 that Nick ‘Nolson’ Nolson will be promoted to the starting lineup in place of Accuracy. Fans on the platform were thrilled to hear the promising talent was going to get a chance on the main lineup. While this cements Nolson’s place on the team, there have still been questions of what the move means for Gunless and Splyce. CWL Roster Update:@Nolson will be stepping up to the main roster, making his debut tomorrow against Team Envy. @AccuracyLA will move into a substitute role.#OnTheHunt — Splyce (@Splyce) June 3, 2019 Original Article Splyce’s Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi has commented on rumors that he is being benched to make way for the eventual signing of Pierce ‘Gunless’ Hillman, as speculation continues to swirl regarding his future with the organization. Accuracy has been a part of Splyce since the beginning of the Black Ops 4 season, in which the team was widely viewed as one of the most talented rosters in the game. After second and third place finishes at CWL Fort Worth and Las Vegas respectively, the team hit a rough patch of form, and it appears that their recent struggles have forced the organization’s hand into making a roster change. The former Team Kaliber player tweeted on Sunday, June 2 that he was heading back to California, Los Angeles, despite his team scheduled to take part in Division B Pro League matches on June 4 in Columbus, Ohio. Taking his place will be substitute Nolson. Earlier, a tweet from Joshua-Lee ‘Joshh’ Sheppard also appeared to hint at the move, announcing that David ‘Dqvee’ Davies would be joining their CWL Anaheim lineup, wishing original member Nolson “good luck in what’s next for him.” TeamBsport roster for Anaheim is myself, @CammyMVP, @Weeman_CC, @Defraaag and @Dqvee. Good luck to my son @NolsonCoD in what’s next for him. — Joshh (@BsportJoshh) June 2, 2019 Joshh also made use of a popular clip from the Fast and Furious movie franchise, which shows two cars speeding off in different directions, further teasing that their time playing together has come to an end. Some fans believe that this switch is being made so that Ulysses ‘AquA’ Silva can grow accustomed to the ICR ahead of the possible acquisition of Pierce ‘Gunless’ Hillman, who was removed from Luminosity’s starting lineup. Accuracy himself denies this is the case, responding to a comment on Reddit that suggested the team were definitely picking up Gunless by writing: “Wrong, my brother.” Following a strong start in the CWL Pro League, Splyce have now lost 5 of their last 7 matches in the tournament, and finished 9th – 12th at CWL London in May. The team still sits in a playoff position, but their current record of seven wins and eight losses is a far cry from the dominance they showed earlier in the season. Gunless and Luminosity also hit a rough patch in the league, but most agree that he wasn’t the major factor in their poor performances, and is still seen as one of the best Call of Duty players in the world. Should they be in the market for the Luminosity player, Splyce will have to wait CWL Anaheim ends on June 17, as no transfers between organizations can be made until after the tournament. Nolson now looks set to make his 2019 Pro League debut on June 4 against Team Envy, who would leapfrog Splyce into fourth should they beat them. Accuracy breaks down his iconic clutch against OpTic at CDL Stage 2 Major – Dexerto
Accuracy breaks down his iconic clutch against OpTic at CDL Stage 2 Major ActivisionAt the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major, Lamar ‘Accuracy’ Abedi got a clutch 1v3 to eliminate OpTic Chicago that will be spoken about for years. But how exactly did it happen, and what was going through his head at the time? When we talk about the biggest clutches in CoD, there’s few that have caused as much of a stir as Accuracy’s 1v3 in that game 5, round 11 situation. With three of OpTic’s star-studded roster literally lined up for him to take down, Accuracy probably couldn’t believe what he was seeing when he turned the corner and found them in perfect formation for him to mow down. Now, he’s spoken about the clutch, explaining how exactly it happened and how he pulled it out the bag. WHAT THE **** JUST HAPPENED 🤯@ACCURACYLA WITH THE 1V3 TO WIN ROUND 11!!! pic.twitter.com/txYNrZBl8T — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) April 10, 2021 With the game coming right down to the wire, all Minnesota needed was to play to their strengths and force OpTic to make the wrong plays. That didn’t quite work out, and Accuracy ended up in a corner on Moscow, needing to make the 1v3 — or risk elimination. Describing how Dillon ‘Attach’ Price made the call to flank and hit escalators, the plan was for him to take out at least one from there while Accuracy maintained his position, poised to jump out at the right time and effectively pinch the OpTic players from both sides. “I was like, hopefully I chall right now and kill all three of them,” he told Dexerto. “If I don’t go right now while they’re weak, and I let them regen, I’m probably not clutching this, it’s basically over.” Of course, Attach’s push didn’t work out as planned, but getting two players weak made the clutch just that little bit easier. While most teams would crumble in that situation and be overly cautious or simply await the loss, Accuracy made the veteran play and it worked out perfectly. Needless to say, people will be talking about this one for years to come.

Absurd Warzone weapon glitches in June 29 patch could ruin your game – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone weapon glitches in June 29 patch could ruin your game Infinity WardVerdansk has been hit with an infestation of new bugs following the major June 29 Modern Warfare update. Some of which could outright break your game, forcing you to swap your loadout for something else. If you’ve been dropping into Verdansk since the June 29 Warzone update, you may have noticed a few distinct changes. While balance updates and fresh content topped the patch notes, new glitches also made their way through in the files. When equipping certain weapons, there’s a very good chance that some diabolical-looking creation fills your screen instead. Textures on snipers, submachine guns, and even light machine guns too, all have a new tendency to glitch like never before. Whether you’ve landed in your first game, or find yourself in the Gulag, the bug can strike at any time. Here’s what you need to look out for until a fix is issued. Entering the Gulag with one of the newly available snipers, Reddit user ‘Jahaziel_22’ was among the first to encounter the issue. Running through the 1v1 arena without a weapon equipped was just fine. Though when they swapped to their HDR sniper, a majority of their screen was covered by random textures. They could still see roughly where they were, but when trying to scope in, the bug was only amplified. Ultimately, it cost them their Gulag run. Call of Duty League caster Clint ‘Maven’ Evans fell victim to the hilarious issue as well during a June 30 Twitch stream. Swapping to his Duchess Blueprint for the M91 LMG, his entire screen was covered by radical shapes and colors. “What is going on with my game?” Maven yelled as the map all but disappeared from in front of him. Until he swapped back to an SMG, all that was visible were simple HUD elements. If an enemy had approached, that would have been the end of his run. Other instances of the weapon glitch have been less severe. Popular content creator Doug ‘DougisRaw’ Wolf, had smaller textures emanate from his gun. Even joking that the newly nerfed MP5 comes with a shield by default. It appears as though no platform is safe from the bug, though. So whether you’re playing on console or PC, make sure to swap back to a secondary weapon as soon as this glitch fills your screen.

Absurd Warzone TikTok shows hackers are now impossible to kill even when downed – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone TikTok shows hackers are now impossible to kill even when downed ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone hackers are hitting new levels of absurdity, as a now-viral TikTok showed that these cheating demons are practically impossible to fully kill – even when they’ve already been downed. They say “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” And Warzone’s hackers seem to have taken that mantra to new heights, as they’ve ignored hardware bans and new ban waves in order to level up their cheats. In a new video, a player had an enemy downed and rushed in for the kill. This is a timeless experience everyone has had, the slow, downed foe tries to weasel around a corner while you, in upright glory, pursue. But little did TikTok’s ‘mrblueblrd’ know, they weren’t chasing any normal enemy. This was a downed hacker, and cheaters require exorcists these days. Watch the video below to see how this demon slides away like some sort of hellspawn. Headphone users, feel free to lower your volume… As you can see in the clip, Mr. Blue approaches a downed player with haste — only for said player to zip away with even more haste. Like some clip straight out of , this fallen foe dashes away while in their downtrodden state. While people have known that hackers now have speed hacks that let them dash around the map at horrifying speeds, it wasn’t known if they could do so while downed. And, now we know, they most certainly can. So there’s new speed hacking cheats… LOL pic.twitter.com/fuwOvwiubk — Nat 🧸 (@NatarshaAU) August 25, 2021 There are two clear takeaways from this frightening video. The first is that all of these bans aren’t fixing the problem just yet and that the real Vanguard anti-cheat can’t come soon enough. The second is that you should maybe consider running a Throwing Knife with your loadouts. That way, should you run into a hacker and luck into downing them — you can hopefully finish them off faster than they can slide away.

Absurd Warzone parachute bug is ruining players landings – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone parachute bug is ruining players landings Treyarch/ActivisionA bug in Call of Duty: Warzone is causing players to drop into Verdansk at an extremely slow speed with a strange gliding animation. Although it’s certainly a frustrating glitch to encounter, there’s no denying it’s absolutely hilarious. [jwplayer seN10a3q] Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the most popular battle royale titles on the market. It’s free to play model and incredible gunplay separate it from the competition and is the reason the game has such a dedicated fanbase. However, the title is far from perfect and has become famous for its issues with bugs, exploits, and hackers. From players being able to shoot while they’re down to unlimited respawns in a match, it’s fair to say the game cannot be described as polished. Well, Warzone players have discovered yet another in-game bug, and this time it affects a player’s ability to parachute down into Verdansk. New Warzone bug affects players dropping into the map A post made to the CODWarzone subreddit has revealed a hilarious bug that occasionally occurs when players drop into Verdansk. As seen in the clip posted by budibungbung, the player character’s parachute animation is completely glitched. Instead of gliding down to the intended location, the operator does a hilarious shuffle walk-in mid-air and appears to drop at an extremely slow speed. One commenter on the thread even compared the dance-like movement of the operator to Micheal Jackson’s Thriller. Just to add to the absurdness of the bug, the player’s parachute is facing the wrong direction and appears to be completely tangled up with the operator. Unfortunately, all jokes aside, this glitch looks like it could be extremely frustrating to run into and is just another issue to add to the list. However, at least this is one bug that might put a smile on your face if you experience it. As with any bug in Warzone, it’s difficult to know when or if this parachute glitch will be fixed. By the looks of it, it doesn’t look like loads of Warzone players are running into the issue. So, fingers crossed it doesn’t affect your games and you don’t have to wait for half the match for your operator to land.

Absurd Warzone glitch turns pro into a plane & crashes during $75k tourney – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone glitch turns pro into a plane & crashes during $75k tourney ActivisionA Call of Duty: Warzone streamer was competing in a $75,000 tournament when a Pacific bug decided to do him dirty… turning the parachuter into a broken plane and crashing him into Caldera’s ground and the game into his desktop. No one is surprised when new titles, or major updates, bring a variety of glitches. Even fewer were surprised with Warzone: Pacific, as the game’s quality assurance testers walked out—spurring further concerns. But still, some bugs are still too weird to brush aside. One example, which was actually pretty funny, came with a player’s teammate being turned into a gigantic grenade. A new example could have been worth a laugh too, but it came at a horrible time. While playing in the Twitch Rivals $75,000 tournament, Buzro won his Gulag and tried to drop back into action. Except when trying to parachute down, he became a plane, then a person, then a plane, and then… the entire game crashed. Warzone pro turns into plane during game-crashing Pacific bug Did… he just turn into a plane mid-tournament? 😵💫pic.twitter.com/uLSqER2OVM — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) December 14, 2021 As you can see in the clip, Buzro wins his Gulag with some clean jump shots. Then he drops back toward Caldera, but proceeds to seemingly transform into the re-deploy plane. By the time he’s about to hit the ground, the streamer had switched from plane to parachuter a whopping five times. Absolutely confused, but showing serious composure, you can hear him asking the game’s spirits to “let me out of the plane.” Eventually, the game simply crashed before he could hit the ground and, due to issues like this, the entire tournament was postponed. Warzone pros react to Pacific’s game-breaking glitches This pretty much sums up the Warzone Customs scene right now. I’m in disbelief that there are tournaments even running right now, especially $100k’s, but hey, all us players just play in them anyways so why should tournament organizers care? https://t.co/hwSG8WrcvX — Aydan (@aydan) December 14, 2021 In response to this bug, other pros are already asking for more tournament delays. Warzone’s all-time highest earner, Aydan, said he’s “in disbelief that there are tournaments even running right now.” Others, like Knight, have asked if the community can “postpone tournaments so it doesn’t ruin the experience all together.” It remains unclear what caused the plane-transformation-and-crash bug, but it’s far from the only glitch devs are dealing with at the moment. While players were initially excited for a weapon balancing update, a bug-fix patch should probably be a higher priority at the moment.

Absurd Warzone glitch is making players impossible to kill – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone glitch is making players impossible to kill Infinity WardA jaw-dropping Warzone glitch has been ruining the battle royale experience for many teams as players are turning into unstoppable killing machines. Warzone has already seen its fair share of puzzling issues since its release, from visual glitches in the final zones, to broken buildings and plenty more. Exploits have been popping up as well, and the latest game-breaking complication is making some players outright invincible. Modern Warfare’s multiplayer component featured a similarly noticeable bug in March that allowed teams to glitch out of the map and become immune to all forms of damage. Now that very same issue has made its way to Infinity Ward’s 150 player battle royale mode. Rather than glitching into a certain section of the map, however, this new bug lets players walk around freely, gunning down enemies from up close, all while completely immune to incoming fire. Unable to finish the game and collect a win for their efforts on April 16, Reddit user ‘RaviVora’ and their team were stuck in an impossible situation. The last remaining enemy was simply invincible. All four players on the team unloaded all forms of ammunition and explosives onto the target, and they didn’t even flinch. Hitmarkers weren’t showing up from afar, and even melee seemed ineffective up-close. There was no other option but to run around, accept their fate, and finish in second place due to the glitch. There’s no telling exactly how the issue came to be, and thus far, it seems as though there’s no clear cut way of recreating the bug. However, a few players had some suggestions. Most ideas center around the gulag and complications that arise when trying to spawn back in. If the 1v1 ends in a draw but your team buys you back, it could turn you into an unstoppable juggernaut. Such an overpowered and obviously unfair glitch is sure to be patched out of the game in the very near future. Repeating the bug for easy wins may even land you on a list of cheaters, so be careful. Infinity Ward is yet to address the issue, however, so be on the lookout for invincible enemies over the next few days.

Absurd Warzone glitch allows players to shoot after being downed – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone glitch allows players to shoot after being downed Infinity Ward/ActivisionA bug has been discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone that allows players to shoot while they’re down. Despite a lot of clips of the glitch popping up recently, the issue has supposedly been in the game since August of last year. Since Warzone’s release back in March of 2020, the game has remained one of the most popular battle royale titles in the entire genre. However, that’s not to say the game is without flaws or imperfections. If there’s one aspect of Warzone that’s been a nightmare for players since the game’s launch it’s the countless bugs. From invisible players to teleportation around the map, there’s a new glitch discovered in Warzone by players almost every week. So, it will come as no surprise that players have found yet another bug and this time, it involves the ziplines used to ascend buildings. Warzone bug allows downed players to shoot In a post to Twitter, streamer @headxchesz showed himself accidentally using the zipline glitch on another player who happened to be abusing the unlimited stim exploit. As Headache is approaching the end of his Warzone game, he realizes one of his final opponents is sitting in the gas and is most likely abusing the stim exploit. He decides to make a dash for him using a vehicle and attempt to take him out before dying to the gas. After arriving at the location, he quickly ascends the zipline of the building and comes face to face with his opponent. Headache is promptly shot and downed with the self-revive option popping up at the bottom of his screen. However, for whatever reason, he is able to shoot his MAC-10 whilst in a downed state and kills the stim exploiter. Who do you hate more ATC tower campers or stimmers ? Why not both ! pic.twitter.com/KZPPrrxXQv — Headache (Ash) (@Headxchesz) January 13, 2021 The glitch itself occurs when a player is downed whilst using a zipline. Once a player is out of the ascending animation, they’re capable of firing off a short round of bullets. This bug certainly has the potential to cause a lot of problems for Warzone players as ziplines are frequently used to get to the top of buildings. Luckily, in Headache’s case, the glitch helped him kill a player using the stim exploit. However, there’s no doubt normal players have been affected by this frustrating bug as well. There are reports that this issue has been in the game since Warzone’s Season 5 update in August of last year. If that is the case, it’s likely a fix for this glitch will not arrive anytime soon.

Absurd Warzone clip shows the POV of hacker on a flying car – Dexerto
Absurd Warzone clip shows the POV of hacker on a flying car ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s flying car hacks are back and players aren’t thrilled about their return. Some can’t help but marvel though, as a ridiculous new video shows just how wild the cheats are from a hacker’s POV. First things first: cheating in a multiplayer video game is bad. It is not nice behavior and it deserves punishment, which is why everyone hopes the Ricochet Anti-Cheat can keep ruining hackers’ experiences. Nonetheless, some hacks are more interesting than others. While Warzone players hate aim-botters and ESP users, the flying car hack isn’t getting the same degree of anger. People don’t exactly support the Harry Potter-esque cheats, but they can’t help but be curiously fascinated by them. In fact, many seem to even be enjoying just how ridiculous the airborne vehicles look – especially from a hacker’s POV. Warzone hacker’s POV while flying a car In a clip posted to Reddit by the fittingly named ‘RedBirdsFly,’ you can see a player standing on top of a car while their buddy takes the wheel. A moment later, these villains are lifted off the ground and are flying through the skies while sniping the good guys. For many, this is the first time people have ever seen the flying car hack from a cheater’s POV. And, honestly, people seem to appreciate it a little (at least, the flying part, not the aimbot degeneracy). One of the most upvoted comments said: “at least he’s doing something that would make people laugh.” A former rage-quitter even agreed, replying that they’ve “quit the game completely because of hacker, but this s**t looks a little fun.” Others continued, with one calling it the “funniest hack I’ve seen” and another dubbing it “the best cheat I’ve seen.” So, while everyone agrees that hacking is bad, there seem to be levels to it. If cheaters like this video’s fittingly named ‘Banned Permanently’ want to turn community sentiment in their favor, maybe they should shut off the aimbot and stick to funny, flying vehicles. Otherwise, the reports will keep rolling in and they’ll end up whining that they got banned for ruining other people’s experiences.

Absurd Vanguard clip shows what it’s like to get ego-challed by a CDL pro – Dexerto
Absurd Vanguard clip shows what it’s like to get ego-challed by a CDL pro Call of Duty League / ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard’s multiplayer showcase put content creators and CDL pros in the same lobby. After a dirty clip of JGOD getting gunned by Envoy, we now know what it’s like to face a pro from an above-average player’s POV. JGOD isn’t bad at CoD. He mostly plays Warzone, but the content creator easily holds a positive K/D and is very comfortable in the game. It’s no stretch to call JGOD an above-average player who most casuals would struggle against. But there are a lot of above-average players in the world… and very few professionals. The difference in skill might be hard to imagine since they don’t often overlap, but now we have visual evidence of what it looks like. JGOD got placed in a lobby, unknown to him, against former OpTic Chicago star Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon. And he found out the hard way, as he got absolutely melted across the map with an SMG — despite already being mounted and shooting first. POV: You’re mounted and trying to gun @DylanEnvoy 😬 (via @JGODYT)pic.twitter.com/dyppc6T8Bu — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) September 8, 2021 As you can see in the clip, JGOD found a nice elevated spot, opened a window, mounted his gun, and started shooting at a tiny figure across the map. He shoots first, he’s wielding an AR (Vanguard’s STG44), and he’s mounted. Nevertheless, the figure across the map eats his bullets, refuses to get in cover, and immediately volleys back — as classic an ego chall as possible. And the figure beams JGOD, comfortably winning the fight… despite the disadvantages and having a close-range SMG (the MP40, in this case). After getting killed, JGOD reacts with a shocked “no,” a confused “what,” and then a slightly comforted “that’s why he’s a pro player, dog.” Yeah, the Prince was frying on Vanguard’s beta 🥓pic.twitter.com/0mLFEtdRtI — Dexerto Esports (@DexertoEsports) September 8, 2021 Just like we now have evidence of the skill gap between pro and above average, Envoy was absolutely having his way in the Vanguard Beta lobbies. A 2020 MVP candidate, it should be no surprise that he was able to work his magic. Still, it’s pretty wild. A good player, mounted with a long-range gun who got the first shots off… shouldn’t normally lose to an ego-challing SMG across the map. But that’s what it’s like to play against a pro. If you’re wondering what other guns are available in Vanguard, check out our full breakdown here. Or, if you want to know where Envoy lands for CDL 2022, check out our rostermania hub.

Absurd new Warzone glitch is giving players unlimited respawns – Dexerto
Absurd new Warzone glitch is giving players unlimited respawns Infinity WardIf you’ve ever wanted to stay in the same Warzone lobby forever, you’re now able to do just that thanks to a ridiculous Call of Duty bug that’s giving battle royale players unlimited respawns. From Fortnite to Apex Legends, the genre-defining Battle Royale games all share one common trait. If you die, you’re out of the match for good, unless a teammate is able to bring you back to life. Warzone has its unique Gulag system that allows you to earn a second chance at glory. But beyond that, once you’re down and out it’s usually time to leave and find another lobby. With 150 players in a typical match, games can come and go relatively quickly. Though what if they never had to end? A bizarre new issue plaguing the Infinity Ward title is keeping players in one instance of Verdansk indefinitely. No matter how many times players are wiped out, a glitch is providing unlimited respawns so they can immediately drop back in. With the safe zone shrinking in a July 27 game, Reddit user ‘b6109’ was left to fend for themselves against 17 remaining players. However, before long that number soon began climbing. Despite the Gulag being shut for the final section of the match, enemies were still continuing to flood back into the map. Regardless of how many players they killed, nor how many times they died, the lobby stayed just as populated. Operators continued to parachute back down even after gas had completely taken over Verdansk. There’s no telling exactly what led to the endless glitch in Warzone. For all we know, that instance could still be going right now. So long as at least two players stay in the game, it theoretically could continue until the servers eventually go offline. It might seem like nothing more than a good laugh at first. However, it actually proved to be an effective way of padding statistics. “I usually average 6/15 kills on Solos,” the player said. “This game finished on 27 kills.” From completing individual challenges to unlocking certain weapon camos, an endless deathmatch could be just what some players need. This bug occurred in a solo matchup but it could always spread to other playlists as well. Infinity Ward is yet to address the issue so keep your eyes peeled moving forward. Players could be instantly dropping back in after you wipe them out in Warzone.

Absurd Modern Warfare exploit makes it easy to get Tactical Nukes – Dexerto
Absurd Modern Warfare exploit makes it easy to get Tactical Nukes Infinity WardAn exploit in Modern Warfare is giving players an easy way to farm Tactical Nukes without the help of a bug or cheat. People have been encountering instances of JOKR missiles raining down from the sky on Zhokov Boneyard, leading up to a game-ending Nuke moments later. Popular Call of Duty YouTuber ‘JGOD’ made a guide on how to set up your class Ground War “to get the easiest Tactical Nuke Possible, regardless of skill level.” Though it’s unknown who initially found the exploit, players have been adopting the tactic to unlock the Mighty Mushroom calling card. Some CoD players are setting up their loadouts with the JOKR launcher as well as equipping perks like Ghost, Cold Blooded, and Amped. According to JGOD, the easiest way to make use of the class setup is by taking it on Boneyard, and making sure to stay near the “side of the map that has the ‘E’ flag.” After that, it’s a simple matter of locking onto “silo drums” on the other side of the map to get off a long-range missile, using the crate nearby to refill your ammo. The YouTuber was able to quickly get to the 25 kill mark to unlock the Tactical Nuke, even though he was in a game that was “already halfway over.” JGOD said that a crucial part of the exploit is to make sure your team isn’t capping the wrong points, since capturing C could mess up the spawns and the missiles wouldn’t hit anyone. Separate videos show how quickly the sky can light up with artillery fire. Reddit user ‘Burner2K0’’s gameplay footage shows what looks to be at least three players using the exploit. At one point in the clip, seven missiles were on their way up to the apex of their trajectory, and the player had no way to counter it without entering the restricted area. While the method is getting more popular to get the Nuke, there are some people who are using it to help complete the challenges on their way to coveted Damascus camo. In either case, the trick has proven to be incredibly effective, so much so that Infinity Ward might look into patching the overpowered launcher very soon.

Absurd Modern Warfare bug lets streamer see through walls on Shoot House – Dexerto
Absurd Modern Warfare bug lets streamer see through walls on Shoot House A ridiculous Modern Warfare glitch can make Shoot House the most broken map in the game as textures disappear and players are able to see enemies through walls. Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare has been riddled with bugs since launch and while some are on the comical side with no serious impact on the outcome of a match, others have completely tarnished competitive integrity. A recent bug accidentally discovered by Twitch streamer ‘GalaxEGaming’ falls into the latter category and led to a severely lopsided match on Shoot House. Shoot House was implemented across the board with the release of Season One in Modern Warfare on December 3. A small-scale map intended to provide some frenetic action like franchise staples Nuketown and Rust, the DLC map appears to have missed the mark due to an absurdly powerful glitch. Accidentally showcased throughout a Twitch stream on January 1, GalaxEGaming was alt-tabbed out of Modern Warfare while loading into a round of Hardpoint on PC. Upon tabbing back into the match however, the streamer was left stunned as a majority of crucial textures had failed to load in. Leaving him with a clear view across huge chunks of the battlefield, the streamer was all too giddy to begin opening fire on foes who couldn’t see him yet. “Everyone’s gonna report me thinking I’m hacking,” he joked, while rushing towards the opposing side of the map with full view of spawn locations. Gunning down a number of opposing players, the glitch continued to impact more of the match as character models began disappearing in plain sight as well. “The players aren’t even f***ing loading for me what the hell.” Heading to some indoor high-ground, the bug was on full display as the entire map appeared skittish, constantly popping in and out of existence with every slight movement. There’s no telling just how this absurd incident came into effect, however players might be looking to replicate the bug whenever Shoot House appears in rotation. While it’s impossible to play in such a way as to remain cautious of enemies shooting you through a wall, pay extra attention to kill-cams on the map to spot whether opponents are exploiting the bug moving forward.

Absurd CoD Vanguard clip makes players demand fix for “wack” spawn system – Dexerto
Absurd CoD Vanguard clip makes players demand fix for “wack” spawn system ActivisionAn absurd Call of Duty: Vanguard clip has players demanding a fix for the spawn system as enemies just keep appearing in front of them. Since the beta, players have constantly been pointing out that the squad spawning in CoD Vanguard should be removed as it makes no sense. With 20 different maps in the game, it can be a bit challenging to perfect it on every single one but the system isn’t working across multiple maps. While Sledgehammer Games has made changes on certain maps and adjusted those accordingly there are still tons of issues and players are demanding a change. We’ve released a patch for #Vanguard! – Tweaked spawn logic on a few maps – Increased range threshold for Sniper Point Blank Kills, also renamed this challenge “”Close Range”” – Fixed a bug preventing Reticle Unlock Progression – Fixed a bug that would lock the FOV slider— Sledgehammer Games (@SHGames) November 11, 2021 Call of Duty: Vanguard players want change to spawns Despite an update on November 11 that supposedly fixed spawn issues, players are still furious with the way spawns work on nearly every map. A Reddit post by ‘AreJayPKC’ displays just how awful spawns can be on certain maps in a hectic clip. In the clip, you see the player on the map Demyansk. They pushed toward the back of the map when suddenly tons of enemies spawn right on top of one another. When looking at the minimap you can see that the player has some teammates around so realistically those spawns should have been blocked. One Redditor said, “These spawns are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. If you don’t laugh you’ll cry.” While another added, “The spawns in this game are WACK!” Some people think that Combat Pacing could have a huge effect on spawns as some maps are not designed to hold over 20 players. However, many are pointing the finger toward squad spawning which allows players to spawn near a teammate. While the game is still fairly new, SHG has sent out a couple of patches but none have been centered around the Vanguard spawn system. Players will have to wait and see if the devs decide to make a massive change.

Absurd Call of Duty Vanguard clip reveals cross-map wallbang exploit – Dexerto
Absurd Call of Duty Vanguard clip reveals cross-map wallbang exploit ActivisionCall of Duty: Vanguard, like most CoDs, has bullet penetration. But a new clip is worrying fans, showing an extremely broken cross-map wallbang exploit on Bocage. CoD Vanguard has been no stranger to glitches and bugs since its release. We’ve seen map barriers break, dog butts, and more but nothing too obnoxious with a wallbang… until now. In Call of Duty, a wallbang is when bullets get shot through a wall or barrier and do damage. This can be pulled off more easily with the FMJ attachment. However, this newly discovered wallbang is beyond busted, as players can do this from across an entire map in Vanguard. Call of Duty Vanguard’s Bocage has wallbang glitch On a fan-favorite Vanguard map, Bocage, players have discovered that apparently, walls mean nothing, and bullets must be made from the strongest material in the world. This clip, posted by CDL Intel, shows off two different wallbangs on Bocage and the first one will definitely make your jaw hit the floor. The first spot was found by ‘DoobieDante’ as they were testing this out in a private lobby. They had one person lay down on the B bombsite, while the other player ran across the map to the stairs. Even though they traveled a large distance away from them, their bullets still killed the person on the site. To make this even crazier, they weren’t using the FMJ attachment. In the second clip, ‘ItsWayzy’ found that you can easily blast enemies through walls on Bocage and even claimed that they were getting aim assist through it. Only in Call Of Duty can you get aim assist through a full thick brick wall but not through a window…NICE — Wayzy (@ItsWayzy) November 22, 2021 It’s one thing to get aim assist on an enemy you can see but being able to do that on someone behind a wall is pretty wild. One person roasted the devs, saying “there’s no way they played this game before release and thought it was good enough to release it.” Bocage is a CDL map for both Hardpoint and Search and Destroy, so players are hopeful this gets resolved quickly.

Abezy explains how Tiny Terrors duo with Simp almost never happened – Dexerto
Abezy explains how Tiny Terrors duo with Simp almost never happened Activision Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr and Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris, also known as the Tiny Terrors, are one of the most formidable duos in Call of Duty history — but it almost never even happened. Ever since they joined together in the Black Ops 4 season, Simp and aBeZy have been putting just about every opposing team in the blender. There may never have been a more dominant SMG duo in Call of Duty esports, and the accolades they have collected together — Major event wins, hundreds of thousands of dollars won and a world championship — only bolsters that claim. They seem now like they were destined to play together, making light work of the very best Call of Duty players in the world, but it almost never even happened. While talking with Dexerto for Reverse Sweep, aBeZy revealed that the CDL could look completely different right now, as his duo with Simp was never originally meant to happen. Following the World War II world championships, aBeZy said he got hit up by eUnited, FaZe Clan, and Splyce. “I was like, ‘I gotta go to FaZe,’” he said. “That was my first option, and that whole thing kind of fell through. That’s where I wanted to go and it just didn’t happen.” He continued: “eUnited was my last chance to get on a pro team, but Alec [Arcitys] told me if they weren’t my first choice, they didn’t want me. Then Burns called me and told me they still wanted me. I got on the team and we won Playoffs and Champs!” Had aBeZy joined FaZe Clan at the start of the Black Ops 4 season, who knows what would have happened going forward? Of course, it’s possible they end up uniting under one banner at some point, but it definitely would have altered the last few Call of Duty seasons drastically.

Abandoned Warzone rifle is “hitscan” at every range but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Abandoned Warzone rifle is “hitscan” at every range but there’s a catch A Modern Warfare 3 Marksman Rifle is “hitscan” at “infinite ranges” in Warzone. However, there’s a bit of a catch to harnessing its true potential. When the Modern Warfare and Warzone cycle got underway, the battle royale’s meta was pretty open. Sure, it’s closed up a bit now and you’re unlikely to win if you’re not using the Static-HV, STG44, or AMR9, but it wasn’t always that way. Weapons like the MCW 6.8 – not to be confused with the normal MCW – had been on the fringes of the meta early on. Sure, it slipped away quickly, but it had its moment in the sun. Well, Warzone guru WhosImmortal has highlighted the marksman rifle again as it has one of the best times to kill. “This thing can basically be built out to be hitscan at infinite ranges if you want to. It is very, very good at being a semi-auto spray and pray melt machine,” the YouTuber said, noting the marksman rifle has an 826 ms TTK in fights around 62 meters. The big catch on the MCW 6.8 is that you are bound to use the 6.8 Wraith spire point rounds. The unusual ammo type buffs the rifle’s bullet velocity by 49%. That is something that WhosImmortal notes probably should have been nerfed by now, but it hasn’t, so crack on. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor L – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Ammunition: 6.8 Wraith spire point rounds – Magazine: 60-round mag – Timestamp of 6:20 “Takes a little bit of getting used to but, man, this thing is so fun to use because of how easy it is to stay on target and put players down so quickly,” the Warzone guru concluded. As per WZRanked stats, the marksman rifle is the 95th most popular gun in Warzone, but that shouldn’t be the case. The TTK isn’t as big a gimmick as some others that we’ve seen in the past. So, drop into the firing range, get to grips with the MCW’s semi-auto, and you too can be deadly at any range you want.

Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG rivals meta weapons in Season 5 – Dexerto
Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG rivals meta weapons in Season 5 ActivisionIf you’re looking to shake up your Warzone 2 loadouts, you may want to consider an SMG that has been slept on for quite some time despite being one of the go-to’s in the early days of MW2. Heading into Warzone 2 Season 5, the battle royale’s meta was in a rather healthy position. Sure, the Cronen Squall and ISO 45 were still dominating games, but there were plenty of viable options below those that could easily help you bag a win if you didn’t want to use those. That’s still the case in Season 5 too. With a big round of buffs hitting the SMGs, LMGs, and some rifles in Warzone 2, many weapons remain viable. Though, SMGs have certainly taken the spotlight as the likes of the VEL 46, ISO 45, and Lachmann Sub all lead the way now. Viable, under-the-radar options remain though, and players have been trying to find what is the best option on the front. And, well, it looks like the FSS Hurricane is the standout option if you’re looking for something a little off-meta. Best FSS Hurricane loadout for Warzone 2 Season 5 Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal highlighted it in his August 13 video, noting that the Hurricane is up there with some of the more meta options despite the fact no one really uses it anymore. “I’ve been vibing with the Hurricane lately, ever since last season when it got that damage profile update – it’s now also really good up close and in the mid-range as well, putting in work next to the MP7 and the P90,” the YouTuber said. “This is a really good choice, super straightforward and easy to use.” As it’s been around for a while, the build for the Hurricane is pretty simple. You’ve got the classic FFS Ole-V Laser on there, the Lockshot KT85 muzzle, and the XTEN Rear Grip as well. Muzzle: Lockshot KT85 – Laser: FFS Ole-V Laser – Stock: Demo Quicksilver Stock – Ammunition: 5.7X28mm Overpressured +P – Rear Grip: XTEN Rear Grip – Timestamp of 3:40 The Warzone stats guru did highlight the SMG towards Season 4, as he says, but it never really took off. WZRanked stats note that players still have limited interest in it compared to early days of the battle royale. It remains to be seen if it’ll ever really turn things around, but the stats show that its a really solid option.

Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG is the “best” again after massive Season 5 buff – Dexerto
Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG is the “best” again after massive Season 5 buff ActivisionOne of Warzone 2’s deadliest SMGs is back on the meta radar after some buffs, seasons after it was dominating games across Al-Mazrah. Across the original Warzone and Warzone 2, SMGs have always had a solid standing in the meta. At times, they’ve been incredibly overpowered, better than any assault rifle or battle rifle out there, and cause plenty of nightmares for enemies across different maps. In Warzone 2’s Season 5 update, the SMG category was one of those – alongside LMGs and battle rifles – to get a bit of love from the devs. A number of them were buffed, including the already deadly VEL 46. While the VEL and ISO 45 are still the frontrunners for anyone wanting to use an SMG, Warzone guru Metaphor believes players should also be considering a forgotten option – the Fennec 45. Best Fennec loadout in Warzone 2 Season 5 That’s right, the Fennec – or Vector, to others – that dominated in Season 1 is now making its way back into the meta according to the YouTuber, and has a case to be the “best” choice right now. “I do think this is a new, upcoming SMG. I do think this gun is really good right now and I do recommend using it,” Metaphor said, noting it has an “insane” fire rate. The Fennec’s maximum damage did receive a buff in the Season 5 update, which means you don’t really have to alter your loadouts from previous seasons. So, you can keep using the Bruen Pendulum muzzle, VLK LZR 7mw Laser, and the Fennec stippled grip. Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum – Laser: VLK LZR 7mw – Ammunition: .45 Auto Hollowpoint – Magazine: Fennec Mag 45 – Rear Grip: Fennec stippled grip – As noted, the Fennec was ultra-dominant in the early part of Warzone 2, but it has certainly fallen off the radar. According to WZRanked stats, it clocks in as the 32nd most-used gun right now with just a 0.3% pick rate. Obviously, that should change before long and start to tick up, but for it to reach the top spot, the ISO and VEL would probably need to be nerfed. And, well, who knows if thats going to happen.

Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG is still “overpowered” in Season 3 – Dexerto
Abandoned Warzone 2 SMG is still “overpowered” in Season 3 ActivisonThere’s an SMG that has been left by the wayside in Warzone 2 Season 3 that is still “overpowered” despite no one using it anymore. Here’s what you need to know. The meta in Warzone 2 has undergone a bit of a drastic shift over the last few weeks, with both the Season 2 Reloaded and Season 3 updates having a fair bit of weapon changes inside of them. Those balance changes were aimed at addressing some of the overpowered weapons that had taken over the meta – RIP to the KV Broadisde and ISO Hemlock. Though, that has also created room for others to dominate in a similar fashion themselves. However, if you’re not wanting to use the go-to guns and would, rather, use something a little off-meta then there’s an SMG that is “overpowered” despite its recent changes. Best Kastov 74-u in Warzone 2 Season 3 The SMG in question is the Kastov 74-u class, otherwise known as the AK-74u, and it was highlighted by YouTuber Metaphor as still having a fair bit of strength in Warzone 2. In fact, he was as so far to say that, at times, it feels like “one of the best” guns in the game and is a perfect compliment to the newly buffed snipers. It is one of those that can really finish off a weakened enemy. The loadout is pretty standard for an SMG though, with the Sakin Tread-40 muzzle, FFS Ole-V Laser, and 5.45 High Velocity ammunition all being used. Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Laser: FFS Ole-V – Ammunition: 5.45 High Velocity – Stock: Otreazt Stock – Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip – Prior to Season 3, it had been a pretty viable option as an SMG, and was being used by players somewhat. However, following the update, its pick rate plummeted according to WZRanked. It remains to be seen if it’ll ever get back to where it was prior to Season 3, but this class should go a fair way in helping it out.

Abandoned Warzone 2 LMG “decimates” in Season 4 with deadly TTK – Dexerto
Abandoned Warzone 2 LMG “decimates” in Season 4 with deadly TTK ActivisionA forgotten LMG has become a pretty viable option in Warzone 2 Season 4, as it can dominate games with a pretty impressive TTK. With the start of Warozne 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 4, the Call of Duty devs decided to finally make some big changes to the meta. The Cronen Squall, which had been the long-standing to-to weapon of choice in the battle royale, was hit with a nerf and the assault rifle has fallen off in a big way. As a result, the meta has been shake-up and new weapons have come to the forefront. As it stands, the ISO 45 SMG, Lachmann-556, SO-14, and HBR 56 have become the new go-to guns as they’re all viable. Though, there is an LMG that could actually challenge those top spots even though barely anyone is using it right now. Best Rapp H LMG loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4 The LMG in question? Well, it’s the Rapp H. That’s according to WhosImmortal, as the Warzone 2 guru highlighted it in his July 2 video, claiming it has a deadly TTK that’s up there with some of the best. “If you can learn to use this weapon effectively, it is so so good. Its mid-range TTK is anything but mid. Even if it’s close-range TTK. If you’ve got your sights up in a fight, it’s going to shred,” he said, noting it does have a challenging recoil to combat. “Spend some time in the Firing Range, figure out how to use this weapon to its advantage and you’re going to be frying and decimating absolutely everyone.” The loadout for the Rapp H barely changes from when it was previously in with a shout of being meta. Just this time around, the Warzone guru suggests using the FTAC Ripper underbarrel and Lachmann TCG-10 Rear Grip on the LMG. Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 – Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper – Optic: Aim OP-V4 – Magazine: 100-round drum – Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10 – Timestamp of 8:14 As noted, the Rapp is still going fairly under the radar. WZRanked has it as the 43rd most-used gun in the game with a 0.1% pick rate. That’s a far cry from when it was in and around the top 10 in previous seasons. Though, we do expect it to rise somewhat given its power.

Abandoned Vanguard SMG is still one of Warzone’s deadliest weapons – Dexerto
Abandoned Vanguard SMG is still one of Warzone’s deadliest weapons ActivisionLooking to use a different gun in the final few days of Warzone? It could well be worth revisiting a Vanguard SMG that has long been forgotten by players. With Warzone 2 only a few weeks away at this point, Call of Duty fans have been diving into the original battle royale and getting it quite the send-off. The recent Season 5 Reloaded update made a number of underrated weapons viable again, including plenty from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. These have, naturally, risen up the ranks over the last few weeks, but the meta is still pretty Vanguard-heavy. However, there are still a few weapons that were dominant in the early days of the Vanguard integration that have fallen away over time. That includes the Owen Gun, which is actually still finding success despite its limited usage recently. Best Owen Gun loadout for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded That’s right, the Owen Gun is still one of the deadliest weapons in Warzone despite the fact it’s fallen well away from the meta. The stats from WZRanked back that up too. The SMG might only have a lowly 0.22 pick rate, but it actually has a top-ten win ratio, clocking in at 3.69. In terms of its kill/death ratio, the Owen Gun is in the top 15 for that too, with an above-average 1.11 K/D. What’s interesting about the Owen Gun is that the loadout pretty much stays the same on both fronts. While some weapon builds vary wildly for K/D and win rate success, it’s only the barrel that changes on the SMG. If you’re looking for the best win rate class, then the Hockenson 142mm Rapid barrel is the way to go. The K/D build, however, takes the popular Gawain 188mm Shrouded barrel instead. The rest of the setup is the typical Owen Gun build, so you should have all the necessary attachments unlocked. It’s well worth running again, even if only for a few matches.

Abandoned Vanguard shotgun dominates Warzone KD and win leaderboards – Dexerto
Abandoned Vanguard shotgun dominates Warzone KD and win leaderboards Activision/TreyarchAn underrated Vanguard shotgun is going under the radar in Warzone and currently has the highest KD ratio and win rate in the entire game. When it comes to picking a weapon to use in Warzone, the majority of players opt to choose the most popular picks in the meta. Currently, those are the KG M40, Cooper Carbine, STG44, Marco 5, and of course, the deadly Armaguerra 43 SMG. While creating loadouts with these guns will guarantee you can compete in your matches, it’s sometimes better to think outside the box and test out underrated weapons. One that might be worth considering at the moment is the abandoned Combat Shotgun, which is top-tier when it comes to stats in Warzone, but maintains an extremely low pick rate. Vanguard’s Combat Shotgun is being overlooked in Warzone A lot of balance changes arrived in the Season 4 Reloaded patch and one of the weapons that got buffed was the Combat Shotgun. With a Max Pellet Damage increase of 26%, the gun is now a force to be reckoned with at close-range, and can one shot opponents with ease. If that wasn’t enough, according to WZRanked, it has the highest win rate in Warzone at 4.77% and KD ratio at 1.42. Surprisingly, despite these impressive stats, the Combat Shotgun has one of the lowest pick rates in the game at 0.08%. While you’ll definitely need to run Overkill with this gun so you can takedown opponents at medium to long-range, there are very few weapons that can compete with the Combat Shotgun at close-quarters. Without a doubt, this is worth testing in one of your matches as its hard to know how long it’ll be before the shotgun gains a little more popularity.

Abandoned Vanguard LMG is one of Warzone’s best with “absurd” TTK – Dexerto
Abandoned Vanguard LMG is one of Warzone’s best with “absurd” TTK ActivisionLooking to use something different in Warzone? Well, there’s a Vanguard LMG with an “absurd” TTK that you may have forgotten all about. Season 5 of Warzone Pacific is the final season of content before Call of Duty fans wave goodbye to Warzone and head over to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. As a result, there have been some big changes made to the battle royale – both in terms of the maps and the weapon meta – with plenty of popular guns going under the knife and receiving some drastic changes. The new season has brought LMG back into the fold, with both the UMG 8 and MG82 proving to be pretty killer picks for Caldera. Though, if you want to use something different then the Whitley might provide the answer you’re looking for. Best Whitley loadout for Warzone Season 5 The Vanguard LMG was highlighted by Warzone YouTuber WhosImmortal on September 5, who noted that it has one of the best TTKs in the game right now – especially when it comes to long-range. “This thing is absurd. A 700ms TTK at 59 meters, so, a much better range than the Nikita and the AS Val,” the YouTuber said, adding that it “hits like a truck” compared to some of its rivals. “It is so so strong and I don’t think many people realize just how good the Whitley can be.” However, for all its power, the meta build for the Whitley does have some slight drawbacks. It’s best used with a 45-round magazine, which isn’t exactly a lot for an LMG. Additionally, it has a slightly “awkward” recoil that can be tricky to master. Though, practice makes perfect. Timestamp of 3:45 As noted, the Whitley has been a popular pick before, but it has fallen off the map in recent seasons. As per WZRanked stats, it currently has a pick rate of 0.09, so hardly anyone is using it. Those are who, though, have seen some success. It has a respectable win ratio of around 3%, which matches some more popular weapons. So, give it a spin and see if you can master it. You should find plenty of success.

Abandoned Vanguard AR has “best TTK” in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded – Dexerto
Abandoned Vanguard AR has “best TTK” in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded ActivisionIf you’re searching for a loadout to use in Warzone that’ll send the battle royale out with a bang, you may want to revisit an old friend from Call of Duty: Vanguard – the AS44. With Warzone 2 right around the corner, plenty of Call of Duty fans are putting together their last few wins in Warzone 1 and reflecting on the memories that the battle royale has provided over the last few years. Given that the Season 5 Reloaded update gave some old weapons a bit of a new shine, it’s the perfect chance to revisit some old favorites. The likes of the M13, MP5, and Mac-10 have been doing some damage, and they’re not alone either. While it might be a Vanguard weapon, the AS44 has certainly slipped down in terms of usage over the last few months, but it still maintains the best TTK in the battle royale – and is perfect for mid-range fights. Best AS44 loadout in Warzone Season 5 The assault rifle was highlighted by Warzone guru WhosImmortal in his October 23 video, with the YouTuber noting that the weapon is “elite” right now. “The best TTK in the game frankly. This thing is elite. You could build this for max TTK and it has absurdly ridiculous recoil, but it’s unmatched up close if you build the more practical loadout,” he said. “It is perfect for mid-range gameplay and gun fights, where it is almost unbeatable.” That more practical loadout involves a few favorite attachments: the MX Silencer, Carver Foregrip, Kovalevskaya 615mm barrel, and Hatched Grip. Though, there is also space for the ZAC 12B custom stock and G16 2.5x scope, while Disable and On-Hand are the perks of choice. Muzzle: MX Silencer – Barrel: Kovalevskaya 615mm – Optic: G16 2.5x – Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip – Stock: ZAC 12B custom – Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 50 round – Ammunition: Lengthened – Rear Grip: Hatched Grip – Perk 1: Disable – Perk 2: On-Hand – Timestamp of 4:00 As noted, the AS44 is certainly going under the radar. Despite the fact its TTK can be as low as 488ms provided you hit a headshot or two, it only has a 0.27 pick rate according to WZRanked. With Warzone 2 around the corner, that pick rate isn’t likely to inflate all that much. Though, it is worth trying for one last ride, especially with its “next level” power.

Abandoned Vanguard AR dominates Warzone win rate despite meager pick-rate – Dexerto
Abandoned Vanguard AR dominates Warzone win rate despite meager pick-rate ActivisionWarzone is well into its final season but the surprises keep coming. This time around, a forgotten Vanguard AR is climbing the win rate charts despite not being picked often at all. There have been a wealth of great guns that have been left behind by the Warzone meta. From the once-great FFAR to the flaming shotguns of year one, nothing sticks around forever. However, not all of these classics have completely fallen off. Many have simply just been edged out by better competitors that have minor advantages or that complement other weapons in the meta better. That’s largely what happened with this Vanguard menace, but the players who never dropped it are now collecting wins at an astonishing rate. Vanguard Volk boasts astonishing win rate despite being a sleeper pick in Warzone According to WZRanked, the Volkssturmgewehr is way overperforming compared to its pick rate in the current state of Warzone. This super mobile Assault Rifle is winning 4.90% of matches that it is used in, but players are only picking it in 0.43% of all lobbies. This win rate puts it solidly in the top three, behind only the Gorenko and UGM-8, and slightly ahead of the Marco 5. This gun is not only a heavy hitter in custom loadouts either. The Legendary version of the gun that drops from supply crates is absolutely lethal in close-quarters situations, and it comes with a scope, meaning it can be used as the primary pickup on a map like Fortune’s Keep where most of the action is happening at mid range or closer. For anyone looking to give the gun one last run before the arrival of Warzone 2, check out our best loadout guide here.

Abandoned MW3 AR is dominating Warzone again with rapid TTK in Season 5 Reloaded – Dexerto
Abandoned MW3 AR is dominating Warzone again with rapid TTK in Season 5 Reloaded DexertoOne of Modern Warfare 3’s previously most powerful assault rifles is a dominant option in Warzone again. Yet, some fans have truly abandoned it. When Modern Warfare 3’s cycle with Warzone first started, only the MW3 guns were viable. The guns from the previous game, Modern Warfare 2, were around but didn’t deal the same damage as the newer counterparts. Fast forward almost a year, and plenty of those MW2 guns are viable. Some have even taken the places of previously dominant Modern Warfare 3 options that have since fallen off because of nerfs. One such example is the Holger 556. The assault rifle dominated the Warzone meta for some time, leading some players to become disillusioned with it. After going through some nerfs, and subsequent buffs, the AR is back on the rise. The assault rifle has been highlighted by Warzone creators like MrMarvelTV, who have pointed to it being a top option on both Urizkstan and Rebirth Island. “Man, this thing is a lot of fun to run. Just very very little recoil and very high TTK. Always a good combo,” he said in his August 31 video. Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor – Barrel: Chrios-6 Match – Optic: JAK Glassless – Magazine: 40-round mag – Stock: RB Addle Assault stock – Timestamp of 3:20 The YouTuber also noted that you can, if you’d prefer, take off the JAK Glassless optic and use an underbarrel attachment instead. However, the recoil isn’t so noticeable that you will have to focus fully on control like some other rifles. As noted, the Holger has been forgotten about since topping the charts. According to WZRanked stats, the AR sits as the 40th most popular gun in Warzone right now. Yet, its power is so far beyond that, the Holger should be back on your radar if it isn’t already.

Abandoned MW3 AR has “phenomenal” Warzone TTK in Season 5 – Dexerto
Abandoned MW3 AR has “phenomenal” Warzone TTK in Season 5 DexertoOne of Modern Warfare 3’s formerly most popular assault rifles is a top option in Warzone again ahead of Season 5 Reloaded. However, it has been totally forgotten about by players. Whenever the Warzone devs release a new seasonal update, the battle royale’s meta gets shifted. Weapons get buffs and nerfs, prompting popular options to fall by the wayside while others rise up. In previous season, the Holger 556 had been one of those top options. Warzone gurus hailed it as one of the fastest killing guns around, as well as versatile across different game modes and play styles. The assault rifle had been a key part of the meta in Seasons 2 and 3, but nerfs have seen it totally drop off. However, it is still a “phenomenal” choice in the battle royale. That is according to Warzone expert WhosImmortal, as he highlighted the Holger in his August 17 video. “The only drawback to this thing is its magazine capacity. Other than that, its control is great, its damage is great. Even though its mag capacity isn’t awesome, its damage per mag is competitive,” he said, noting the gun has a “phenomenal” TTK to boot. Obviously, you’ll want to bump that magazine capacity up a bit but you’re limited to a 40-round mag. That is the only ‘crutch’ attachment as you’re free to tweak things a little. The YouTuber’s use of the JAK Glassless Optic is totally preference-based and you could take the Nydar Model 2023 instead. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: Chrios-6 Match – Optic: JAK Glassless Optic – Magazine: 40-round mag – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – Timestamp of 4:38 As noted, the Holger was one of Warzone’s best options previously, sitting comfortably in the meta a few seasons back. According to WZRanked stats now, the AR is the 44th most popular gun in the game, which is a fair way off its actual ability. With Season 5 Reloaded just around the corner, it could be in for a nice boost. But, we’ll have to wait and see.

Abandoned MW2 rifle has one of Warzone’s best TTKs in Season 5 – Dexerto
Abandoned MW2 rifle has one of Warzone’s best TTKs in Season 5 ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 2’s trusty Marksman Rifles has one of the best Times to Kill in Warzone, but it’s been totally abandoned by players. Even though Modern Warfare 3 guns typically shine brightest in Warzone, weapons from the previous game – Modern Warfare 2 – still have a role to play. The RPK is one of the most problematic guns because of the JAK Cataclysm conversion kit making it a one-shot sniper, but it isn’t alone. The VEL 46 has also been highlighted by some Warzone experts as being a top SMG option. On top of that, you also have the M4 doing some damage in the meta. However, there is another gun that is being totally ignored despite having a rapid TTK – and that is the Tempus Torrent. It was highlighted by WhosImmortal as being a “high risk, high reward” weapon in Season 5. “If you’re a player who can excel with this, you are rewarded greatly by absolutely melting through enemies,” the YouTuber said in his August 5 video. He noted that the Marksman Rifle has a 570 ms TTK in fights up to 40 meters. “For an MW2 gun, this can be used incredibly effectively as a mid-range option pairing with a sniper, or a better long-range LMG or rifle. This thing can actually if you are comfortable with semi-auto,” he added. Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: 24’ Outreach 4 – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Magazine: 50-round drum – The Warzone guru added that the rifle is completely “slept-on” and not “talked about” but it is “incredibly good at taking out enemies incredibly quickly.” That assessment is spot on and backed up by WZRanked stats. Over there, the MW2 rifle is the 106th most popular gun, only 10 places off last place. So, if you are someone who can use semi-auto guns without many complaints, jump on board.

Abandoned MW2 AR revives iconic Warzone Kilo 141 – Dexerto
Abandoned MW2 AR revives iconic Warzone Kilo 141 ActivisionThere is an Assault Rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that brings back the vibes of the iconic Kilo in Warzone, but everyone is overlooking it. Over the last few months, a number of different guns from Modern Warfare 2 have made an impact on the Warzone meta. Sure, their Modern Warfare 3 counterparts still run things, but there are a few older options that can still compete. One of the most iconic guns from MW2, the ISO Hemlock, may have been completely abandoned by players, but the battle royale’s developers haven’t been sleeping on it. The assault rifle was actually buffed in Season 4 as its minimum and mid-damage profiles were increased. Despite the AR’s damage modifier for arm shots also being buffed, the Hemlock has still been in the dumps when it comes to being used. However, FaZe Swagg has shone a light on it because of it resembles the Kilo 141 from Modern Warfare 2. Swagg described the Kilo as being one of the “craziest guns of all-time” and noted that the Hemlock is feeling exactly like that these days. Even though he dropped 27 kills with the gun during a game on Rebirth Island, however, he couldn’t quite secure the victory. Muzzle: Casus Brake – Barrel: Fielder-T50 – Optic: JAK Glassless – Magazine: 45-round mag – Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain – As per WZRanked stats, the Hemlock clocks in as the 56th most popular gun in Warzone. That is a far, far cry from the days when it sat comfortably in the top spot. For some players, there isn’t any rescuing the Modern Warfare 2 guns, even despite the fact some of them have been getting buffs recently. However, if you take a punt on them, you might just find yourself having some fun. The likes of the Hemlock and Lachmann Shroud, have such a familiar feeling that you slip quickly back into feeling like you’re revisiting better days.

Abandoned Modern Warfare SMG is still a mid-range beast in Warzone – Dexerto
Abandoned Modern Warfare SMG is still a mid-range beast in Warzone ActivisionWant to move away from the meta SMGs in Warzone? Well, there is a hardly used choice from Modern Warfare that deletes enemies in mid-range fights. Over the last two years, SMGs have played a major role in the Call of Duty: Warzone meta. From Modern Warfare’s MP5 and MP7 to Black Ops Cold War’s Mac-10 and OTs 9, pretty much every SMG has had its moment. As the Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons have taken over the meta, many of the formerly popular choices have fallen by the wayside and been replaced by some stronger weapons. Though, there are still some Warzone content creators trying to shine a light on some of the older guns through experimental loadouts. And, well, there is a forgotten SMG from Modern Warfare that is an underrated beast. In his February 26 video, Call of Duty content creator Metaphor highlighted the Striker 45 – more commonly referred to as the UMP 45 – as being a bit of fun when it comes to mid-range fights. If you’ve hardly ever used the Striker, it’s not a massive shock. It currently sits as the 102th most-used weapon in Warzone as per WZRanked, and Metaphor notes it’s not as good as the likes of the Welgun and Owen in short-range encounters. However, it has a few tricks up its sleeve in mid-range battles. “It’s got that nice mid-range, close to mid-range where it’ll absolutely fry people,” he said, noting that it can “insta-kill” enemies in those fights too. Best Striker 45 loadout for Warzone Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: 300mm Poly Barrel – Laser: Tac Laser – Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex – Magazine: 45 Round mags – As noted, with the Striker being so far down the list of weapon usage, it might just be a fun one to try out rather than it breaking into the meta. So, if you’ve got the attachments needed to run the class from when it held a spot inside the top 20 for usage, you can at least give it a go in one of your next matches.

Abandoned Modern Warfare AR still dominates Warzone with insane TTK – Dexerto
Abandoned Modern Warfare AR still dominates Warzone with insane TTK ActivisionCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s AS Val can actually beat Warzone’s STG-44 and NZ-41 in terms of TTK, however, you’re really only able to use it in one game mode. As the meta in Call of Duty: Warzone has become dominated by weapons from Vanguard, once-popular choices from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War have drastically slipped away. Just as some content creators have proven, some of these old favorites are still rather viable – especially on Caldera – but their pick rates remain a shell of what they once were. In the case of the AS Val – which has dominated in Warzone at times – it still has one of the best TTKs around, but the rifle is really only viable in one particular game mode these days. The once-dominant AR was highlighted by Warzone guru Metaphor in his June 19 video, where he claimed the AS Val is still “overpowered” but isn’t being used. As per Sym.GG stats, the YouTuber’s AS Val build – which does increase hip fire and close-quarters stats – has a better TTK than both of the meta loadouts for the STG-44 and NZ-41, but that does come with slightly slower movement speed all around. According to Metaphor, the Modern Warfare rifle is still in that weird spot where it’s powerful but also not really viable outside of Solo games because of its smaller magazine capacity. “It’s a complete monster at close-range and it also has that just incredible TTK,” he added. Best AS Val loadout for Warzone Barrel: VLK 200mm Osa – Laser: 5mw Laser – Stock: Stovl 6P30 Skelet – Magazine: 30-round mags – Rear Grip: Stippled Grip – Given that the AS Val is really only viable in solo games these days, its pick rate has dropped off a cliff compared to it once was. As per WZRanked, it now only has a 0.18 pick rate. The Modern Warfare AR is unlikely to ever return to the top of the meta, but it’s a solid change of pace – if that’s what you’re looking for.

Abandoned Modern Warfare AR is as good as Warzone’s most meta weapons – Dexerto
Abandoned Modern Warfare AR is as good as Warzone’s most meta weapons ActivisionModern Warfare’s RAM-7 assault rifle is pretty low on the list of Warzone’s most popular weapons but, according to one content creator, it can still rule the roost in Caldera and Rebirth Island. The conflation of multiple titles’ content in Warzone has been a marked first for the Call of Duty series, with Warzone acting as the vector for Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard weapons and equipment all in one place. Naturally, weapons rise and fall in prominence as nerfs and buffs take hold. In Season 2, Vanguard weapons like the MP40 and Cooper Carbine continue to dominate the meta. However, according to Warzone content creator Metaphor, the RAM-7 from Modern Warfare 2019 can hold its own against nearly any weapon. Best RAM-7 Warzone loadout in Season 2 Reloaded The YouTuber claims it has always been in the top 6 or top 7 ARs in the battle royale but has just been forgotten as newer weapons arouse player’s interest. Its fast fire rate and low recoil are the main reasons to pick up the weapon, meaning accurate shots are easy to pull off. While its damage is not quite as high as some other weapons – like the AK-47 – it compensates by being easy to use and strong at close to medium ranges. Outlined below is Metaphor’s selected loadout. You’ll notice that there’s a nice balance between loadouts to augment its range and damage, and those to make sure shots are easy to hit. While the RAM-7 doesn’t excel in any one particular area, it is as versatile and dependable as any weapon in Warzone. Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor – Barrel: FSS Ranger – Optic: Corp Combat Halo Sight – Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip – Magazine: 50 Round Mags – According to WZRanked, the RAM-7 sits at a pitiful pick rate of just 0.48%. It does mean, though, that if you pick it up you’ll be truly ahead of the curve. We’d recommend using it as your main primary, with a trusty sniper in the back pocket.

Abandoned Modern Warfare 3 rifle is meta in Warzone again as it’s so easy to use – Dexerto
Abandoned Modern Warfare 3 rifle is meta in Warzone again as it’s so easy to use ActivisionOne of Modern Warfare 3’s most popular guns is back in the meta conversation for Warzone in Season 4 Reloaded, but it is still being a little overlooked for what it delivers. Over the last few weeks, the Warzone meta has undergone a fair amount of changes. Most of these have stemmed from the Season 4 Reloaded update, which saw the dominant KAR98K and Superi 46 loadout taken down a few notches. That round of weapon balancing has also led to some of Modern Warfare 2’s guns getting some love, but it’s still MW3 that rules the roost. The likes of the MTZ-556, Holger 26, and FJX Horus are currently out in front when it comes to the meta, but they’re not the only viable options. The SOA Subverter, which was popular a few seasons back, is starting to rise up the ranks again, and according to Warzone guru WhosImmortal, the rifle is actually pretty viable because it is so easy to use. “I think it’s safe to say the SOA Subverter is still in the meta for long-range. It’s not nearly as good as it was back in the day, right, but this thing’s TTK is still very competitive and it’s also one of the easier guns to use in the game,” he said during his July 16 video. Muzzle: Casus Brake L – Barrel: Dozer-90 Long Barrel – Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support – Stock: Motion-V2 Heavy Stock – Magazine: 50-round drum – Timestamp of 9:42 One bonus about the battle rifle is that its iron sights are so clean, you can focus on other attachments. As noted, the YouTuber’s build even goes away from the creeping influence of High Grain bullets, as he opts for the Motion-V2 Heavy Stock for added control. “Yeah, the Subverter is kinda back and it’s fun to see again,” he concluded. According to WZRanked stats, the Subverter is the 14th most popular gun in the battle royale right now, so it is on the fringes of the meta. It is clearly an interesting option, so if you’re looking for something fresh and not as clunky as other battle rifles, give it a spin.

Abandoned LMG is still one of Warzone’s best weapons in Season 4 Reloaded – Dexerto
Abandoned LMG is still one of Warzone’s best weapons in Season 4 Reloaded ActivisionA forgotten LMG from Modern Warfare 3 is back in the meta conversation as one of Warzone’s best guns in Season 4 Reloaded, and you don’t need to do anything special. With Warzone undergoing regular weapon balancing, some of the most popular guns in the game can quickly find themselves left behind for newer options. In Season 4 Reloaded, the Call of Duty devs took a big chunk of the KAR98K’s power away, gave the MCW a bit of love with a minimum damage increase, and also buffed some of the LMGs in a few different ways. While the Pulemyot 762 wasn’t one of the LMGs to get a buff, it has quietly snuck back into the meta conversation as one of the battle royale’s best guns. That’s according to Warzone expert WhosImmortal as he highlighted the LMG in his June 27 video. “The Pulemyot is low recoil and its TTK isn’t nuts, but it is so accurate that it is going to be competitive enough,” he said, noting that the JAK Annihilator Bullpup Conversion Kit is still a key component in the build. “Low recoil, easy to use, and you’ll have a pretty good TTK with this thing because of all that factored in.” Muzzle: VT- Spiritfire Suppressor – Barrel: JAK Annihilator long barrel – Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x – Conversion Kit: JAK Annihilator Bullpup – Stock: Command D-15 Kit – Timestamp of 12:10 The YouTuber pairs it with the BP50 to do damage up-close, especially with the JAK Revenger Kit that turns it into an SMG. As noted, the Pulemyot was previously one of Warzone’s most-popular LMGs, but it’s fallen off over the last few months due to different nerfs and, of course, other weapons being buffed and added to the mix. According to WZRanked, the LMG sits as the 43rd most-popular gun right now, but it clearly has some underutilized power right now.

Abandoned LMG actually dominates in Warzone 2 after Season 4 Reloaded changes – Dexerto
Abandoned LMG actually dominates in Warzone 2 after Season 4 Reloaded changes ActivisonIf you’re looking for a new weapon to use in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded, you may want to consider an LMG that has fallen away from the meta in recent months. The last few updates for Warzone 2 have brought about some serious changes to the battle royale’s meta and Season 4 Reloaded is no different. If you drop into a game right now, you’ll likely o find players running classes containing the Cronen Squall, X13 Auto pistols, or Basilisk. They’re the three guns that are running things at the minute, even though players are expecting the pistols – especially the Basilisk – to get nerfed before long. If you’re one of those players who doesn’t like to get hung up on the meta and wants to use something else, well, you’ll want to consider the RAAL LMG once again. Best RAAL LMG loadout for Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded The LMG, which has dominated the meta in previous seasons, was highlighted by Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal as being one of the best weapons in the game following the recent changes. “This thing, while it has a little more control, and obviously it’s very slow, brings the power, brings the pain really because it’s going to decimate everyone and everything in your sights,” he said. “Learn to land your shots, learn to master your control and you’re pretty much set. Very few things will be able to outgun this thing one-to-one over long range.” To get the best out of it, you don’t need a funky loadout either. The staples of the Aim-Op V4 optic, Stip-40 Grip, and 21’ EXF Rhino barrel all get some shine in the YouTuber’s class. Muzzle: Nilsound 90 – Barrel: 21’ EXF Rhino barrel – Underbarrel: XRK Dune Grip – Optic: Aim-Op V4 – Rear Grip: Stip-40 Grip – As noted, the RAAL has previously shone in the meta, however, it currently sits as the 38th most-used gun in the game according to WZRanked stats. The LMG clocks in with a pitiful 0.1% usage rate. Despite that, its TTK and damage across long ranges make it a consideration for an off-meta class. Sure, you’ll have to deal with slow reload speeds, but that’s why you’d pair it with an SMG in an Overkill class.

Abandoned Cold War SMG is one of Warzone’s deadliest weapons – Dexerto
Abandoned Cold War SMG is one of Warzone’s deadliest weapons ActivisionOne of Black Ops Cold War’s most recent additions is proving to be one of the deadliest SMGs in Warzone, however, nobody is really using it anymore. As Raven Software have shaken up the Warzone meta over the last few seasons, most players have made Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons their go-to, regardless of whether they play on Caldera or Rebirth Island. Weapons like the STG44, Cooper Carbine, and Type 100 have been helping players rip through their enemies and stack up wins. Though, there are a handful of places in the meta for guns from Modern Warfare. The HDR and Kilo 141, for example, have been getting a bit of love recently, even if they’re not as popular as their Vanguard counterparts. When it comes to weapons from Black Ops Cold War, you’re likely only going to see the XM4 or Milano getting some regular airtime. However, you may want to consider using the UGR again. That’s right, the UGR – which was introduced to Cold War and Warzone with the Classified Arms update – has proven to be one of the deadliest weapons around. As per WZRanked stats, the Cold War SMG sits inside the top 10 when it comes to overall K/D with a 1.09 rating. It also has an impressive 3.49 win ratio – which is right on the heels of the much-loved Owen Gun – so skilled players are seeing success. However, the weapon just isn’t being used by many others. It currently has a measly 0.19 pick ratio in Warzone, which puts it right around the likes of the Fennec, P90, and DP27 – and you never see those in Warzone anymore. Best UGR Warzone loadout for K/D Barrel: 14.5″ Liberator – Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip – Optic: Visiontech 2x – Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock – Magazine: Explosive Flechettes – What’s interesting about the UGR is that, not too long ago, some players complained that it was actually “broken” and needed nerfing – even though its pick rate is pretty rock bottom. It remains to be seen if more players will give it a bit of love in-game, but those that are already using it are getting decent success. So, why not follow their lead?

A signature Call of Duty feature has been added to the Blackout beta – Dexerto
A signature Call of Duty feature has been added to the Blackout beta Call of Duty fans will be very glad to hear that killcams have been added to the Blackout beta as part of the second major update, allowing you to finally see how you were taken out. Killcams are a signature feature in Call of Duty, all the way since the original Call of Duty 2 multiplayer, and are a vital tool for getting better at the game. Once you are eliminated, you get a short replay showing the opponents perspective, allowing you to see exactly how they bested you. Often an underrated feature, killcams allow you expedite the learning process of the game, as you take tips from foes who have outplayed you – so that you can employ it in your own game. Although many battle royale games, notably Fortnite, don’t include killcams, many Blackout players were disappointed that it wasn’t a feature when the beta first dropped. On Thursday, September 13, Treyarch rolled out an update, which in addition to the new ‘Close Quarters’ mode, also added killcams. There were some concerns that killcams could be problematic, especially in duos/quads modes, because it could allow you to see the location of enemies and call them out to your still alive teammate(s). However, if implemented like rival BR game PUBG, players will only be able to watch the killcam after all their squad is eliminated. It will be particularly useful for the very final kill though, as if you choke the last kill to win the game, at least you can now see how you lost it.

31 prize winning pros on WWII who failed to qualify for 2019 CWL Pro League – Dexerto
31 prize winning pros on WWII who failed to qualify for 2019 CWL Pro League MLGA number of top Call of Duty players have failed to qualify for the CWL Pro League after some shock results at the qualifying tournament that finished on Sunday, January 20. The Pro League Qualifier began on January 16 from the MLG Arena in Columbus, featuring the 28 teams who finished from positions 5th to 32nd at CWL Las Vegas descending on Ohio to stake their claim to a spot in the league. A number of top teams who underperformed at the opening event of the year, including 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan, were in action as a number of shocks saw some surprising names claim a spot in the Pro League. This left some of World War II’s biggest names outside of the qualification spots, with one of the most significant names to not qualify being FaZe Clan. The North American team were eliminated from the qualifier by French squad Overtime Esports in the second round of the tournament’s losers bracket. The roster, that contains all-stars like Preston ‘Priestahh’ Greiner, Dillon ‘Attach’ Price and Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto were understandably disappointed in their performance, and marks the first time that the historic organization won’t take part in a CWL Pro League season. Read More: Black Ops 4: How to dominate Seaside Multiplayer map – lines of sight, spawns, and hot zones – FaZe’s inability to qualify comes as a shock considering how highly hyped they were coming into Black Ops 4 on the back of some success in World War II. In fact, out of all the players that failed to qualify for the Pro League, nobody made more than the core FaZe members who represented the organization last season. In a post to the CoDCompetitive subreddit, Call of Duty fan mstrite61 calculated all of the players who earnt money in World War II but failed to qualify for the Black Ops 4 Pro League, with players who missed out earning a combined $830,000 in prize money from the last title. The four FaZe stars earned a cool $94,500 in World War II. They were closely followed by Martin ‘Chino’ Chino and Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni who earnt $71,000 and $54,375, respectively. Of course, for players who missed out on qualifying for the Pro League, there is still a chance that they will compete in the league, as teams will now begin to search for substitutes who can fill in for their squad when needed. The full list of names and their prize earnings can be seen, below.

A Call of Duty announcement could be revealed during Nintendo Direct – Dexerto
A Call of Duty announcement could be revealed during Nintendo Direct Treyarch / NintendoA major Call of Duty announcement could be in store at the upcoming Nintendo Direct event, according to reports from an unverified source. Gaming website ‘GamingINTEL’ has received information from an unverified source in which it is implied that a Call of Duty announcement could be revealed at the upcoming Nintendo Direct. The anonymous source stated that they were, “confident something Call of Duty related will be in the Direct.” While the source did not confirm what the announcement could be, a possible release for Call of Duty: Blackout on the Nintendo Switch might be a possibility. Read More: Major armor nerf, new characters, and more added in latest update for Blackout beta – full patch notes – It is unlikely that Black Ops 4 will see an iteration on said console, however, as Treyarch’s Senior Producer Yale Miller went on record stating that the title would not be released on the platform. Being able to play Blackout on the go is certainly an attractive proposition, and with the Switch already featuring Fortnite – another battle royale title – adding another game in the genre could prove to be a realistic venture. However, in the event that Blackout does not make the console, a stand-alone iteration in the series could likewise make an appearance. The Nintendo Direct is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, at 6 PM ET. The Direct was initially delayed following a massive 6.7 magnitude earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan. It is is set to feature 35 minutes of new games, likely including the upcoming Smash Bros Ultimate, Super Mario Party, and Pokemon: Let’s Go! The event will be broadcast live on Nintendo’s official Twitch channel, which we have included down below. Fans can also watch the event on Nintendo’s YouTube channel here. 9-year-old accused of copying Warzone by killing dad with gun & hatchet – Dexerto
9-year-old accused of copying Warzone by killing dad with gun & hatchet ActivisionNew details from the recent arrest of a 9-year-old boy who allegedly murdered his father claim that the child was imitating Call of Duty: Warzone. Details regarding the death of a man in Utah have emerged following the acquisition of arrest warrants from Fox 13 News. The incident which originally occurred on February 19, 2024, saw emergency services called to the scene of a suspected suicide. Following a brief onsite investigation, a 9-year-old boy was arrested for the suspected murder of his own father. Details within the newly unearthed documents claim that the boy may have been inspired by Call of Duty: Warzone. Primarily because of the weapons used in the alleged murder. A handgun and a tomahawk-style hatchet. Police have said that the victim, a 32-year-old man, and his son had gone to bed early in a shared room of their eight-person household. Later the victim’s son came out of the room and informed the others who lived there that his father was bleeding. According to reports from the scene, the victim, “was found to have been shot in the back of the head and had lacerations to his head, face, hands, and arms”. Those arrest warrants indicated that the lacerations were “defensive wounds”. Responders to the incident found a discharged handgun and the hatchet covered in blood. In the arrest warrant, law enforcement officers suggested that the boy had “behavioral issues” and frequently viewed video content and played video games that were not age-appropriate. Chief among the games mentioned was Call of Duty: Warzone which the arrest warrant says “incorporate(s) the same weapons in gameplay that were found and used in the assault, a 9mm Glock-type handgun and a tomahawk”. The arrest warrant states that information housed on the boy’s smartphone and tablet will be used to indicate “how and/or why these specific methods and weapons were used in the homicide”. Dexerto has declined to mention the names of the victim and alleged perpetrator owing to the young age of the accused.

8 things Warzone 2 needs to get Call of Duty BR back on top – Dexerto
8 things Warzone 2 needs to get Call of Duty BR back on top ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone 2 already has unbelievable levels of hype as the next proper sequel in this sub-franchise looks to deliver the ultimate CoD battle royale experience possible. To do so, we’ve picked out a few things it can look to nail down. Activision probably couldn’t have imagined how popular Warzone was going to be, despite being a CoD title. For months it dominated Twitch, had millions of players across most major platforms as they all sought to conquer Verdansk and Rebirth Island. The game then faced a dip following the serious emergence of hackers, with no adequate anti-software in place, the subsequent revitalization of Apex Legends, and a divisive new map in Warzone Pacific’s Caldera. It’s already established that Warzone 2 is in the distant future, and here are some things we’d like to see for a glorious sequel. 1. More than one main map One of the reasons players keep going back to Apex Legends is because you get a different experience with each of the game’s four, yes four, main battle royale maps. This is in addition to its several Arenas maps too. In the two years since Warzone’s inception, players have only had Verdansk, Caldera, and Rebirth Island. If Apex players don’t like a particular map, then there will always be others to fall back on. If you don’t like Caldera in Warzone Pacific, then your CoD battle royale enjoyment is instantly ruined. Fortnite has only ever had one official map, but Epic Games regularly make big changes to it to make it feel fresh. We definitely need more maps in rotation for Warzone. 2. Avoid game-ruining metas There’s been a lot of solid weapon balance in Warzone for the most part, and even when there have been strong guns, they generally haven’t been so powerful that everyone has to feel the need to use them. But, we have had two or three damaging metas, namely, the bore that was DMRzone and the Burst Rifle/MAC-10 meta that made Verdansk mind-numbingly stale for a while. Not only that, but there was a time when the AMAX simply dominated every other gun in the game. The devs really need to work hard and manage the game’s weapons to ensure barely viable weapons have a chance, and OP guns are managed carefully. 3. Keep Perks balanced and fresh Something that was overlooked by Raven Software for the longest time was the lack of Perk options. Whilst the game did have plenty of Perks to choose from, only a handful were truly meta. Perk 1 was typically E.O.D, Perk 2 was Ghost or Overkill, and Perk 3 was Amped. However, as the seasons progressed, new ones were added and old ones tweaked. The likes of Cold-Blooded had special new properties to boost its potential, and Combat Scout was a game-changer offering literal wallhacks. The devs need to stay on top of Warzone 2’s Perk meta. 4. No pay-to-win Skins or Blueprints It goes without saying that we simply don’t need these kinds of things happening in Call of Duty: Warzone. Yes, skins and bundles will always be a constant as it’s the game’s primary money-making tool. On the other hand, we shouldn’t have skins that make players blend in with the environment to appear invisible, skins that make players actually turn invisible, or Blueprints that give guns secret, broken, pay-to-win advantages. Conversely, we also shouldn’t have paid items making a gun pay-to-lose either as it should all be tested thoroughly. 5. Don’t remove fan-favorite playlist options I understand that the devs want to rotate the playlist options to keep all of their content being played, but removing obvious favorites is lunacy. Instead of spreading the player base out across your different offerings, you’re actually putting off your fans and risking having them not play at all either out of spite or because they’re missing the only mode they enjoy. Maybe a community vote could settle things each week? There’s always a solution. 6. FOV on console Both Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard featured a Field Of View slider option on consoles, and yet, Warzone, or Warzone Pacific, still don’t. The worst thing is there’s still no reasonable explanation as to why. For Warzone 2, a FOV slider on console is almost non-negotiable at this point to prevent the wrath of CoD players and end the supposed tyranny of the PC master race. 7. An iron-clad anti-cheat system Let’s face it, RICOCHET has not been a success. Has it cut down on the number of cheaters in Warzone? Yes. Though, this isn’t saying much when you consider the final days of Verdansk were simply overloaded with hackers and cheaters. It’s been said before, but Activision is a multi-billion dollar company that can plow resources galore into a state-of-the-art anti-cheat system, and Warzone 2 needs next-to-no people spoiling tournaments and standard lobbies. 8. Warzone Ranked Not to harp on about the comparisons, but two of Call of Duty’s biggest rivals both have ranked for their battle royale — Fortnite and Apex Legends. Meaning, people who want more casual games of Warzone can still be put with players way above their skill level and not have their session of CoD sullied. Not only that, but players love the thrill of ascending ranks to see how far they can go and maybe face the absolute best competitors on the planet. The only way to do that at present is for the pros, in tournaments. A Ranked mode would add some variety to proceedings and make it more competitive for players of all skill levels.

8 more classic maps Modern Warfare could add next – Dexerto
8 more classic maps Modern Warfare could add next ActivisionSince the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in October 2019, Infinity Ward have already added some classic maps to the game, including Crash, Shipment, Vacant and Rust – but what could be coming next? The Modern Warfare series has brought a number of the most memorable maps in FPS history to players, to whom the likes of Crash and Rust offer a spot of nostalgic joy that can be easily loved despite how long they’ve been played on. But which maps could Infinity Ward be bringing to Modern Warfare next? With a few months left of the game’s life-cycle, there’s still time to bring some back. Here, we’ve listed eight of the best options. Terminal Terminal was one of the maps that has maintained popularity and fan adoration ever since it was first released in 2009. Since then, it has been remade for both Modern Warfare 3 and Infinite Warfare, and you can see why. The map features several different hotspots for activity, as well as varying lanes and points that are perfect for players of all types, whether you like sitting in a corner away from the battle or getting involved in the thick of it. Plus, getting on top of the plane made even the most frustrating games bearable. Warhawk The only CoD Ghosts map to be included in this list, Warhawk, is another diverse map that offers an array of long and short-range gunfights, where anybody can excel. It always made for some crazy matches, especially on the pro circuit with game modes like Blitz offering some great flanks and sneak plays. Some Ghosts maps go seriously under-appreciated within the Call of Duty community but, with the likes of Octane and Warhawk in the game, it actually made for some fun matches. Hardhat Hardhat is one of the smaller maps from Modern Warfare 3 and, as such, one of the most beloved. Set on a construction site, Hardhat was great if you were looking to get a high kill count and always be in the thick of the action. For some reason, Hardhat hasn’t been remade for another Call of Duty title yet, but it would be well-suited to the Modern Warfare style of play, and is a map that would fit into this game very well. Highrise Again, Highrise has been revamped for modern titles, with ‘Skyrise’ coming to Advanced Warfare in 2015. That said, many fans would love to see it once again in a boots-on-the-ground setting, with those infamous cross-map spawn snipes and the ability to get on the roof making for some of the most iconic moments of CoD players’ lives. A lot of the beauty in Highrise comes from the subtlety of the inclusion of certain features. For example, the ability to walk across the crane on the outside of the map, or drop onto suspended scaffolding out of sight of players on the map. Resistance Resistance is set in a Parisian town, with an iconic Eiffel Tower backdrop, but isn’t anywhere near as pristine as its setting would suggest. Due to the long lines of sight on either side of the map, Resistance became somewhat of a haven for snipers, but conversely was brilliant for close-quarters combat everywhere else. Needless to say, the idea of running an Overkill class with two primary weapons in Modern Warfare on Resistance sounds pretty exciting. Dome (MW3) Another small map from Infinity Ward, Dome was absolutely hectic and is severely underrated as far as small maps go, with a slightly more complex structure than the likes of Rust and Nuketown. It was remade in Ghosts and named Unearthed, but a direct remake could be a good fit for Modern Warfare which, besides Rust and Shipment, is lacking in small, close-quarters maps. Backlot The only map from Call of Duty 4 on this list, Backlot made for a fantastic medium-sized map, especially for Search and Destroy. A beloved map for competitive players, the map is well-balanced and offers various ways to play, keeping it fresh across all game modes whether you prefer to hold a lane and snipe, or flit between buildings with an MP5 in-hand. Not to mention, if you get those spawn nades down, you can make an absolute mockery of your opponent with just a frag grenade and decent positioning. Scrapyard Scrapyard is a map that has gone slightly under the radar since the days of Modern Warfare 2 have started to slip from our memories, not quite as popular as the likes of Highrise and Terminal but still a seriously good map. It has three well-defined lanes, each with its own interesting meta-game which means you can play it completely different every time you spawn in. It can already be seen in Ground War map Zhukov Boneyard, across the B and C flags, so many fans are already theorizing that it’s on its way – definitely a welcome addition to the map pool. This is far from a complete list of maps we’d love to see brought back: Favela, Octane, Strike and Arkaden were all incredible maps that would be welcome additions to the map pool. Of course, we won’t know if Infinity Ward plans on reviving more maps from yesteryear until they start releasing teasers or make a full announcement, but the idea of having any of these maps back is definitely an interesting prospect. The reception of the classic maps that have returned already is a good indication that CoD fans love to have their old favorites back, so Infinity Ward will no doubt seek to bring back more, as well as creating new and original maps that will be considered classics in the not-too-distant future.

7-year-old Warzone prodigy RowdyRogan pulls off wild Throwing Knife squad wipe – Dexerto
7-year-old Warzone prodigy RowdyRogan pulls off wild Throwing Knife squad wipe Twitter @Rowdyrogan / ActivisionSeven-year-old Warzone streamer RowdyRogan has been playing with his dad since he was in diapers. Since participating in FaZe 5 in 2020, he’s continued to improve and show off his insane skills. During an early September stream on Twitch, RowdyRogan and his dad teamed up for a few games of Warzone which led to Rogan showing off his skills with an insane Throwing Knife squad wipe. The young internet personality started showing his insane Warzone skills in early 2020 before ultimately deciding to enter FaZe 5, a competition led by FaZe Clan that gives creators a chance to compete for one of five spots in the organization. During the competition, Rogan’s platform exploded when he posted a video online claiming he was banned from his Warzone account which was quickly debunked when he uploaded a video showing it was all planned for the competitions “make a video go viral” challenge. RowdyRogan’s insane squad wipe In his early September stream, RowdyRogan teamed up with his dad and a couple of his friends for a few matches of Warzone. When the young personality was given a set of throwing knives, he managed to pull off what could be his wildest play of the year. Facing an entire enemy squad with just a set of throwing knives, Rogan proceeded to carry his dad through the battle after wiping the entire squad with his throwing knives. OMG! 7 Year Old TEAM WIPES Full Squad with TRHOWING KNIFES!?! What did I just watch!? While carrying his Mom and Dad to 4 wins in a row!! #Warzone #streaming #GameFi #twitchtv @FaZeClan pic.twitter.com/imDeF9m4GV — RowdyRogan🦈 (@RowdyRogan) September 4, 2021 Reactions to the play seem to be mixed, with some people claiming “I would embarrass this kid.” While other users claim that someone his age shouldn’t be able to play FPS games. Don’t think 7 year olds should be able to play games like that — Abstract (@Abstract23) September 5, 2021 Some people outright admit they’re not as good as Rogan. Youre not going to tell me a 7 year old is better then me and my 17 years of gaming experience. Omg a 7 year old is better then me. — Pairadox96 (@Pairadox96) September 5, 2021 Mixed reactions aside, RowdyRogan is definitely talented when it comes to playing games like Warzone. Maybe one day he’ll fully make his way into FaZe Clan. And, in the meantime, players can learn from Rowdy’s ways — the Throwing Knife is effective in Warzone for more than just finishing downs.
