  • What to expect in major Apex Legends update coming in December – Dexerto

What to expect in major Apex Legends update coming in December Developers Respawn Entertainment are planning on releasing a big update for Apex Legends Season 3 at the start of December, and they’ve revealed some of what will be included. It’s been a while now since the last big update was released for Apex Legends, but players won’t have to wait much longer, as Respawn have revealed that the next one will go live on December 3. The update is set to include several quality-of-life improvements, new cosmetics items, changes to progression and the level cap, and more. The developers talked about some of those quality-of-life changes in their November 27 episode of the Apex Devstream, and it seems most of those improvements are being made based on player feedback. Below, you can find a full breakdown of all these changes that will be coming via this patch, as well as the full Devstream video itself. Friendly fire added to Firing Range Respawn will be enabling friendly fire in the new training area known as the Firing Range, which will allow players who load into the mode together to be able to inflict damage upon each other. This has been a highly requested feature because it would allow players to be able to practice against each other, and warm up much more effectively while not being limited to shooting at just immobile targets and AI dummies. Read More: Apex Legends dev confirmes SBMM exists – In fact, enabling friendly fire in Firing Range could open the door to a whole new type of competition within the training zone itself, much like the exciting build fights that take place in Fortnite Battle Royale’s Creative mode. Change to looting death boxes Another change that will be introduced in this update will be giving players the option to stop automatically leaving the looting screen of a death box when taking damage. This is something players have been asking for quite some time, as many have expressed their frustrations about the game’s current looting system, which immediately kicks a player out of the looting screen if they start taking damage from enemy fire. Read More: Which Legends need changing in Apex Legends – While on paper this may sound like a good thing, the problem is that players often try to manually leave that screen on their own to take cover, and the combination of that with the automatic removal ends up causing many to just go straight back into the looting menu. Fortunately, Respawn have taken note of these complaints and will be adding an option for players to have that automatic feature turned off, allowing them to just stop looting whenever they so choose, even when taking damage. Improvement to health/shield item slot Implemented via this update will be an improvement to the health/shield item slot, which will now automatically switch from a healing item to a shield cell once a player has full health. For example, if a player uses a healing item to get their health bar up to the max, that slot will automatically swap to a shield cell so that the player doesn’t have to open up the wheel and select it manually. “You have refilled your health, you will now automatically swap over to a shield cell as your next item,” they explained. “It doesn’t work in reverse. The idea being if I have just refilled my shields and my shields are at full health and I take a little bit of damage, I’m going to want to go to shields right away to refill that.” There will also be a change made to how colored objects, specifically Helmets and Armor, look in the colorblind mode after players were complaining that it was hard to tell what rarity some of the items were. The color that indicates rarity will not be made much more vibrant so that those with colorblind mode enabled will be able to distinguish them much more easily. Here is the full November 27 episode of the Apex Devstream, which also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the new World’s Edge map and a showcase for some incredible themed-artwork created by the community. For more information about the new progression system, change to the level cap, and a look at the new cosmetic items, make sure to check out our Apex Legends December update info page.

  • What settings and equipment do top Apex Legends players use? Shroud, Dizzy, Dr Disrespect and more – Dexerto

What settings and equipment do top Apex Legends players use? Shroud, Dizzy, Dr Disrespect and more RespawnTrying to up your game in Apex Legends? Following the set-ups of the best players in the world might give somewhat of an edge, even if your talent isn’t up to the same levels. Top Apex Legends players operate on a level that is someways above the average joe who drops into a casual game or two every day or so. Former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek may not play the game at a competitive level, but tune into one of his streams and you’ll see why he’s regarded as one of – if not the best – battle royale player in the world. Thanks to ProSettings, a website that tracks the set-ups of all popular Twitch streamers and competitive players, shroud’s in-game settings have been revealed. Trying your hardest to be like him in-game is a difficult task. However, you can do your best to replicate his skills by following his settings. Let’s take a look at them… Sensitivity The former Cloud9 pro uses a game sensitivity of three, while his aim down sights sensitivity is lower – at one. His pal, and fellow streamer, Dr Disrespect also follows shroud in using a game sensitivity of three. The Doc also uses an aim down sights sensitivity of one, meaning they are more or less perfectly in-sync with their set-ups. However, NRG Apex Legends pro Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows slightly differs from the pair. His game sensitivity comes in at a lower number of 2.5, while his aim down sights sensitivity is the same – at one. Peripherals Shroud is decked out in HyperX peripherals like his his keyboard, mouse pad and headphones. However, he uses a Logitech mouse – similar to how Dizzy does, but using a wireless version compared to the NRG pros wired mouse. The Doc’s partnership with Razer means he’s using their keyboard and mouses instead of shroud’s HyperX and Logitech combo. However, it’s not fully advisable to go out and splash the cash trying to become the next shroud. Field of vision The Field of Vision [FOV] setting can be a big thing for gamers as to what they can see on-screen during a game at any point. This allows them to see – or in some cases, not – see enemies based on their FOV setting. Read More: When does Apex Legends Season 1 begin? Battle Pass release date, new characters and weapons – Unforuntately, ProSettings does not list either shroud’s or Dr Disrespect’s FOV setting. However, Dizzy’s is listed at 110 – the same number as his teammate KingRichard and Rogue pro Jordan ‘HusKers’ Thomas. Monitors Both shroud and Dizzy use a BenQ XL2546 monitor, a popular choice between streamers – as it is also used by shroud’s pal and former CS:GO teammate, Tyler ‘Skadoddle’ Latham. The Doc opts for a different monitor – an ASUS PG258Q. It’s the other popular choice for streamers like FaZe Clan Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, fomrer Overwatch league pro Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and Dizzy’s NRG teammate KingRichard. It is always good to know the exact settings that are being used by some of the very best, but it’s probably best to just try and improve your in-game mechanics. Time and practice is a better option than heading out and spending all your money on a brand new set-up, particularly if you’re new to the game.

  • What Legends are in Apex Legends Mobile? Full roster & mobile-exclusive characters – Dexerto

What Legends are in Apex Legends Mobile? Full roster & mobile-exclusive characters Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Mobile is out in the world, allowing players from across the globe to dive into the Outlands via their smartphone, but what characters can you play as? Here’s the full Legend roster. With Apex Legends Mobile throwing open the gates to the Apex Games and allowing swathes of new players to join the fray, the game has proven to be quite the talking point post-launch. As fans explore World’s Edge in the guise of exclusive Legend, Fade, there’s a whole roster of familiar faces from the base game to test out on your mobile adventures. But what characters made the cut at launch? Here’s a breakdown of the current playable characters in Apex Mobile. Contents All Apex Legends Mobile characters: Full Legend roster Apex Legends Mobile will have some characters that are not (and will not be) available in the base game. For ease, we’ve listed these first, followed by the classic Legends we know and love. Apex Legends: Mobile-exclusive characters Fade Utilizing the power of the Void and Octane-style speed to dart around the battlefield, Fade is Apex Legends Mobile’s first exclusive character. Read More: How to unlock Fade in Apex Legends Mobile – Set to remain exclusive for the foreseeable future, the Phasing Punisher is a powerhouse in the right hands, tearing his foes asunder left, right, and center before they can even see him coming. Apex Legends Mobile: Base game roster Bangalore As her brother, Newcastle, dives headfirst into Apex Legends, Bangalore drops into Apex Mobile. With a familiar kit that features smoke grenades and sprints, she’s perfect for those trying out Apex for the first time – or veteran players who are getting to grips with mobile gameplay. Unlocked as you level up, Bangalore is an essential part of any team and a handy pocket pick. Bloodhound You can’t have the Apex Games without fan favorite Technological Tracker, Bloodhount. One of the most popular (and most powerful) characters in the base game, this non-binary hunter is a must-have for many teams due to their ability to pinpoint enemy movements. Bloodhound is the first Legend you unlock in Apex Mobile, and you’ll test them out during your first game. Caustic Engulfing the Outlands in a sea of green, defensive Legends Caustic is a one-man army if utilized correctly. Perfect for players who prefer to play on the backline but also dish out damage, the chemist extraordinaire can be one of the game’s most lethal Legends. Unlocked as you level up, Caustic is pretty high up the list; so if you want him, get ready to grind. Gibraltar Yet another defensive Legend, Gibraltar’s lovable personality contrasts entirely with Caustic’s. Blocking enemy attacks with his shield bubble, Gibraltar is all about keeping his allies safe no matter what the cost. Again unlocked as you level up, we advise taking Gibby out for a spin if you’re a little bit newer to the game due to his relative simplicity. Lifeline Quirky combat medic, Lifeline, is up there with Bloodhound as one of Apex’s poster children. The fiesty support Legend is a great addition to any team – especially for those who don’t get a kick out of charging straight into the fight. Unlocked after your first game, Lifeline is not only beginner-friendly, but so much fun to play because of her fun-filled personality. Mirage Every girl’s dream (not), Mirage is a boastful damage dealer who uses distraction-based techniques to “bamboozle” enemies, sending them on a wild goose chase while he strikes from the backline. As your self-ordained guide in Apex Legends Mobile, you’ll be seeing an awful lot of the cocky hero – just try your best not to punch him. Mirage can either be unlocked by leveling, or by logging in the day after your first login, making him easily accessible if deception is your playstyle of choice. Octane Fast, furious, and feisty, daredevil extraordinaire Octane is the Outlands equivalent of Sonic the Hedgehog if he were edgier and on a few illicit substances. Capable of outrunning opponents with ease and bouncing away with his Launch Pads, Octane is perfect who like to live life in the fast lane. Unlocked following the tutorial, you can take this chaotic character out for a spin from the get-go – and it’s a wild ride. Pathfinder The jovial yet equally dangerous Pathfinder is an absolute joy to play, allowing you to zip around the battlefield on carefully places ziplines and assassinate your enemies from above. Whether or not you’re a fan of being at the heart of the action, we always recommend trying out the playful character because he’s just so much fun. Unlocked as you progress through the levels, we recommend you take him for a spin – you may not win your game, but you’ll have a pretty damn good time. Wraith While all eyes are on Fade and his portal jumping abilities, Wraith remains the OG void lurker. Boasting a high skill ceiling, the tortured Legend is quite the skirmisher, adept at taking down her enemies with almost surgical precision. Unlocked as you level up, taming her isn’t an easy job, but boy is it worth it. So that’s a rundown of Apex Legends Mobile’s roster – including the new Mobile-exclusive characters. • New Apex Legends map Tropic Island coming soon: details, leaks, release date & more – Dexerto

New Apex Legends map Tropic Island coming soon: details, leaks, release date & more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 11 is around the corner, and a new map, Tropic Island, is in the works, according to leakers. Here’s everything we know so far, including how it will look, feel, and play. Apex Legends originally launched with just one map, Kings Canyon. However, the battle royale’s map pool has expanded exponentially since then. World’s Edge and Olympus have stolen the show. And now, reliable leakers Shrugtal revealed a fourth map called Tropic Island is coming in Apex Legends Season 11. The popular Apex insider discovered the first signs back in 2020, and now believes it’s finally coming to fruition in the upcoming season. Apex Legends Tropical Island map details Muddy Trident Vehicles Shrugtal revealed all the details in a video posted on August 23. He explained the map has been designed with vehicle movement in mind and pointed out a set of textures in the files built for a “Muddy Trident Vehicle.” The muddy nature of the vehicle suggests the map will have a wet and muddy climate, which is no surprise given it’s called Tropical Island. It’s the first piece of evidence he has to support his claims, and it’s a solid one to boot. AI Wildlife He also found lines of code called”mp_rr_ai_wildlife” in a test map, and he believes it’s a clear sign that the developers are testing the implementation of AI wildlife on the Tropical Island map, which could happen on a “large scale.” In his view, it will likely be a “persistent map feature and threat” to players. For example, you might need to defeat waves of giant spiders to access high-tier loot, which makes sense given that some appeared in the Apex Legends comics. Last but not least, he referred to a sound file he discovered called windy cliffside, and he believes it could mean parts of the map will have higher elevation. However, he concluded that it’s all speculation until more details come to light. Apex Legends Tropical Island map in-game teaser A new in-game teaser also shared a previously leaked image for the new Tropic Island map. Not much was shown but it’s one of the first times Respawn directly referenced the new locale inside Apex Legends. Here’s a better look at the new Tropical island image. (via @ApexLegendsWiki) pic.twitter.com/woGPVfwkZg — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 16, 2021 New “Tropical Island” images leaked According to YouTuber Thordan Smash, several in-game images of the new Tropic Island have been leaked online. These include new landmarks that may appear around the Apex Legends map, as well what appears to be a Prowler’s mound, and a slice of the new battleground’s mini-map. Until these are confirmed by Respawn, take them with a hefty grain of salt. Is Tropical Island in Gaea? Shrugtal also mentioned that Tropical Island could take place on Gaea, the birthplace of Rampart, Caustic, and Crypto. It has been referred to multiple times in the comics and ties into a previous questline. So, there’s a good chance he’s right on the money. When does the Tropical Island map release? Apex Legends Season 11 is expected to start on November 2, exactly three months after Season 10 launched. The Tropical Island map will release on the same date, assuming the leaks and rumors are true. But we won’t know for sure until it’s officially confirmed.

  • What is the mysterious door everyone in Apex Legends is curious about? Theories revealed – Dexerto

What is the mysterious door everyone in Apex Legends is curious about? Theories revealed Apex Legends / Respawn EntertainmentFans have been racking their brains trying to work out what the strange door is that has arrived on the Firing Range in Season 18, with many fans providing various theories. Apex Legends Season 18 launched on August 10, with a wave of new changes involving map updates, a Revenant rework, the latest buffs and nerfs, and more. Although there has only been a few minor changes in Season 18 for the Firing Range, In Season 17 the area received a huge overhaul making it considerably unrecognizable. The update enhanced the experience by adding a 1v1 pit, a new area, and more animated dummies that fire back at players. The range has also been known to feature various Easter eggs, such as allowing players to perform the iconic Synchronize ability from Assassin’s Creed and find hidden Nessies around the map. Respawn has done this once again, as more and more players have quickly found a mysterious door in Apex that has puzzled fans online. Reddit users have posted them finding a door, which has been found on the right-hand side of the Firing Range by the Agility course where a lit-up section leads players up a ramp to find an strange door. The door has not yet been confirmed by Respawn as to what it is for, leading to many fans offering up their opinions. What are the fan theories about the mysterious door in the Firing Range? It was first brought to the attention of thousands on Reddit after users posted their findings and continued to discuss various theories. Every character can interact with the door which leads to different reactions from each Legend on the roster. One user on Reddit has taken this to a new level, recording all the different reactions and provoking further debate. One user suggested the door relates to Vantage’s storyline as the Legend reacted by being scared of the door – which is considerably different from the rest. A user commented that they have discovered a new interaction between Lifeline and Octane, where Lifeline says: “Find me in the firing range, you’ll know the building when you see it.” Near the door, one fan spotted a sign alerting players to “stay out” and that the area is secured and under surveillance. The combination of evidence and Apex’s history of incorporating storylines suggest that a future event may indeed be coming. Numerous conclusions have been made involving the differing hero reactions as well as the theory of it being for hidden Nessies, as players continue to test the door in-game and come up with their own ideas. As this mystery is set to continue until further updates, pro player Imperial Hal could have already solved the mystery of what Legend is the best for Season 18.

  • What is the Legend Bonus in Apex Legends Season 1? – Dexerto

What is the Legend Bonus in Apex Legends Season 1? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have once again stormed the game ever since Season 1 patch release on March 19, which introduced Legend Bonus XP rewards after a game. The start of Season 1 also released the long-await Battle Pass for the title. Now players have tons of tiers to grind their way through for the game’s horde of exclusive loot. To make the climb a bit easier, Respawn Entertainment introduced Legend Bonuses for players to collect by using different Legends throughout each play session each day. The bonus lets players collect a massive amount of experience toward their level based on how long they survived in the game for. “Playing with different Legends give a bonus based on your survival time, up to 25,000 Battle Pass Points per Legend each week,” the Apex Legends description reads. With the inclusion of the newest Legend Octane, players who are hard-pressed to max out XP on every character can get a whopping 225,000 XP a week toward their Battle Pass progress. Players need an insane amount of XP to level up their Battle Pass, which could make the Legend Bonus a key factor in moving up the tiers. The Legend Bonus can be an incredible incentive for players to try out different Legends. The bonus could ultimately lead to a better playing experience for many since familiarizing oneself with every trick that characters bring to the battle could be crucial information to have in a skirmish. Respawn know they put out a mountain to climb with their Battle Pass, which might be why they added significant boosts to help along the way.

  • How to fix Apex Legends code leaf error: What is code:leaf? – Dexerto

How to fix Apex Legends code leaf error: What is code:leaf? Respawn EntertainmentThe code leaf error has been affecting Apex Legends players since the game‘s release all the way back in February of 2019. Here’s everything we know about the issue and what you can do to fix it. As with any online game, Apex Legends occasionally has issues with server connectivity and bugs. These can affect the user experience and sometimes even stop players from getting into the game. One of the most frequently occurring server issues in Apex Legends is the code leaf error. This prevents players from getting into matches and alerts them that the “connection to the server has timed out.” Although similar to the console ‘Error 100’ bug, they’re completely different issues – but don’t worry, we have a guide for that error as well that can be found here. The code leaf error can be extremely frustrating for players who just want to jump into the game and play with their squad. Luckily for us, EA revealed a while back why the error was occurring and there are a few steps players can take to fix it. Contents What is the Apex Legends code leaf error? For a lot of players, figuring out what the code leaf error actually means is extremely difficult. Luckily for us, Respawn has addressed the issue in the past and explained why it occurs in-game. Read More: Best Olympus landing spots in Apex Legends – In a check-in on Reddit back in 2019, the developers revealed that the code:leaf error was a backend issue, not a problem with the player’s game: “the backend created a match, our severs successfully talked to one another, we sent users there, and the player never got there answer from the new server.” Of course, as the player never got an answer from the server, the game fails to connect them to the match. Although this error can be extremely frustrating for players to encounter, it’s encouraging to know that it’s most likely a backend problem that is out of the player’s hands. How to fix the code leaf error in Apex Legends Despite the fact the error is more than likely a backend problem, there are a few basic steps that may fix the issue. For one, although it’s incredibly obvious, you should reboot both your gaming device and wifi router just the make sure everything is in order. Don’t forget to open up another online game after you’ve done this to ensure you’re just having issues with Apex Legends. After that, if the issue still persists, this simple workaround appears to be fixing the issue for some players on consoles: Launch Apex Legends – While the game is loading – hold down the right analog stick to access the data center – Pick a server that’s low ping but different from the one you’re currently in – Head into a match – This fix may not work for everyone, but it’s certainly worth a try when you’re desperate to play. Finally, another option is to play on a different account. Some players have found if they switch accounts, the error disappears and the game allows them to enter matches. As a last resort, this could be your best option. Unfortunately, if those fixes don’t work for you, it’s most likely a backend issue with Respawn’s servers. This means until the developers roll out a dedicated patch to fix the issue, you may still run into the error from time to time. Read More: Best guns in Apex Legends: Tier list – The best you can do is keep an eye on the official Apex Legends Twitter page that Respawn often uses to update the player base on any big updates or fixes coming out. Hopefully, this guide has given you a better idea of what the code leaf error is and why it occurs. Although it’s frustrating there are very few quick fixes players can use to resolve the issue, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed Respawn can get on top of the error once and for all in the near future.

  • What is the Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

What is the Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm in Apex Legends? Respawn EntertainmentAs part of Apex Legends’ Genesis Collection Event, Respawn have added the Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm, but it turns out that the tiny World War II plane has quite the moving story. Apex Legends’ highly anticipated Genesis Collection Event is finally here. Introducing a whole slew of Legend changes and brand new skins, the event has breathed new life into the title after a long and weary “dry” month. While players everywhere are clamoring to snag items like Revenant’s new heirloom, it turns out that a new free item has been added to the game. Entitled the “Chatsworth Girl Bomber,” the new weapon charm is a celebration of Respawn’s virtual reality short documentary, Colette. Winning an Academy Award at the Oscars, the tiny little charm has a whole lot of meaning. Emotionally moving and incredibly powerful, let’s discover the meaning being the Apex Legends’ Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm. What is the Apex Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm? In the short description of the charm, Respawn write that “this charm commemorates the Chatsworth Girl, the legendary bomber that went down over Europe only to rise again during a daring escape.” This ties beautifully into the story of Colette Marin-Catherine, the 90-year-old French woman who the Oscar-winning documentary revolves around. A member of the French resistance movement during World War II, she and her brother bravely fought to liberate France from Nazi atrocity, as well as the tyrannical Vichy France government. Her brother, Jean-Pierre, was murdered on March 22, 1945, at Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp, but she survived the war. Stepping foot in Germany after 74 years, Colette’s heartbreaking story is a stark reminder that the horrors of history should never be forgotten, otherwise the sacrifice of those lost becomes meaningless. To see Respawn integrate her story into Apex Legends is truly heartwarming. You can watch Colette for free here. How to get the Apex Legends Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm Bear in mind that the charm is only available during the Genesis Collection event, therefore if you want to get it you’ll have to log in between June 29 and the event’s conclusion. As the charm is free, it’s already in your inventory. As soon as you log in, you’ll see the announcement pictured above. To equip the charm: Go to the Loadout tab. – Select which class, and which weapon you wish to equip the charm on. – Select Charms. – Scroll down, and the Chatsworth Girl Bomber charm will be in your inventory already. – Choose equip. – Getting this little piece of history may be easy, but dominating the Outlands certainly isn’t. If you’re looking to become an apex predator, be sure to stay up to date with our dedicated Apex Legends Twitter account and main page.

  • What is the best Apex Legends squad to secure wins with? – Dexerto

What is the best Apex Legends squad to secure wins with? Even though the game has been out for over two months, picking up a win in Apex Legends can still be difficult. However, is there really a set trio of characters that will guarantee a victory? Since it’s surprise release on February 4, Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends title has become a fixture for battle royale players across the world – with over 50 million players dropping in for at least one game. Some players are, obviously, more skilled than others and can rack up victories much easier. However, does it really matter which character you play as? Are you only in with a shot at becoming an Apex Champion if you have a Wraith in your trio? Who is the best Apex Legend? Well, using stats collected by Play-Apex.net, a website that tracks a wider variety of statistics for Apex Legends, the winningest Legends have been revealed and ranked from best to last. Unsurprisingly, Wraith tops the charts with a 19.7% win ratio – just shy of the 20% mark – an incredibly high amount compared to other characters. The void goddess is followed by Pathfinder on 19.3%, and Bangalore sewing up the third spot with 18.1%. The website also notes the popularity of Legends – with the most popular legends picking up a higher win ratio seemingly because they are used most often than other, not because they are overall better characters with more powerful abilities. How does Octane stack up? The recently released Octane, who has one of the more entertaining abilities in-game with his Jump Pad, finds himself with a, perhaps, surprising ranking. Since being released in Season One: Wild Frontier on March 19, Octane has quickly shot up the popularity charts and in turn, the win ratio of the Legend has also skyrocketed – sitting in fourth place behind Wraith, Pathfinder, and Bangalore – with an 18% win ratio and 16.6% usage rate. In comparison, less popular but longer-standing Legends like Gibraltar and Caustic, who have 4.3% and 5% usage rates, don’t have the same chances to win as Octane, Wraith, or Pathfinder. Do you have to use Wraith? While it’s clear that any three combinations of Legends can lead to a win (no character has a 0% win ratio), being able to master the more popular characters is certainly going to help your chances. Selecting a squad of the top three Legends – Wraith, Pathfinder, and Bangalore – isn’t going to matter if you don’t have the skills to outlast your opponents in Kings Canyon.

  • What is the Apex Legends map rotation right now? Current season maps – Dexerto

What is the Apex Legends map rotation right now? Current season maps Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends map rotation changes with every new season, so it’s always helpful to know which map is active for pubs and Ranked before you jump into the action. Back in 2019 at the release of Apex Legends, the game only had a single map in form of the classic Kings Canyon. Now, in Season 13, Respawn has added three more maps to the battle royale each with a variety of unique POIs and features. Of course, each individual player has their favorite location, whether it’s Storm Point, Olympus, World’s Edge, or Kings Canyon. So, knowing which maps are in rotation for pubs and Ranked is absolutely essential and luckily, we’ve got you covered. Apex Legends map rotation for pubs and Ranked In Season 13, the pubs map rotation includes World’s Edge. Olympus, and Storm Point. Apex Legends map rotation tracker Sometimes, players are not in the mood to play a specific map and instead want to wait until their favorite is active. So, instead of waiting in the lobby, it’s easier to use the useful website apexmap.kuroi which tracks the exact time a map is going to be in rotation. Hopefully, this has given you a full rundown on how to keep track of the map rotation in Apex. Rest assured, we’ll update the information in August when Season 14 finally arrives.

  • What is the Apex Legends invalid token error on PS4 & Xbox? – Dexerto

What is the Apex Legends invalid token error on PS4 & Xbox? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are encountering consistent connection outages across the world that points to an “invalid token” for people trying to jump into a match on PlayStation 4 and Xbox. [jwplayer rSmq5Fo4] In the days since the Aftermarket event patch, there’s been an increasing amount of reports from Apex fans who are getting stuck on the wrong side of a connection issue. After trying to load into servers, some people are getting faced with a message that reads: “connection rejected: invalid_token.” This promptly shuts down their attempts to hop into the Arena, with some claiming to have gone days without a chance to play the game. “My issue is that I haven’t seen anybody [talk] about this,” one user said. “Like nobody is actually aware that so many people can’t even get into a game.” What is the ‘connection rejected: invalid_token’ error? People from Canada, South Africa, the United States, and more have all logged a complaint without a fix in sight from Respawn, though there could be hope they’re aware of the issue. Over at the Answers HQ support hub, EA Community Manager David has been noticing that “there’s a regional component to this issue,” but not much else was provided. Of course, EA and Respawn head up Apex Legends queries often. Hopefully someone at the publisher will let the proper devs know about the spike in reports, if the devs aren’t already on the case. Some have found a ‘workaround’ in South African regions, it could have something to do with restrictions on some people’s routers. The ‘fix’ doesn’t apply to everyone, but it could have some tips for those that need it. “I’ve been having problems with Apex ever since the cross-platform update,” one person wrote. “… I’m not exaggerating here, like EVERY single time I try loading into a match it kicks me back to the main menu and say ‘invalid token’ and this is happening every time it finds a match.” As this continues to prevent Apex Legends players from getting into matches, expect Respawn to work on the issue on their end soon and provide updates, which we’ll then share here.

The premise behind the technique is simple: Each time the move forward key is pressed and released, it slightly changes the direction of your momentum. Doing it multiple times in quick succession results in a full 180-degree turn, which is incredibly useful in fights. Tap-strafing can be very effective in-game once used correctly. So, let’s take a look at how to successfully pull it off. How to tap-strafe in Apex Legends As of the recently released Season 14 update, tap-strafing is still possible in Apex Legends. So, if you’re wondering how to tap-strafe in Apex, check out these simple steps below: Perform a slide jump by pressing shift, control, and space at the right time while holding one of your strafe keys depending on which direction you want to go. A will go left, and D will go right. – At the peak of the jump, flick the mouse wheel scroll up or down while holding the strafe key without moving the mouse. If you do it right, you’ll notice a diagonal pull in the direction you’re facing. – Once you’ve got that part down pat, move the mouse in the direction of the pull while spamming the mouse scroll and holding the strafe button, and you’ll have successfully performed the tap-strafe. – Is Apex Legends tap-strafing being removed? When Respawn initially announced the impending removal of tap-strafing in Apex Legends, there were varying concerns. However, after some consideration, Respawn decided to simply tune this movement mechanic. In September 2021, Respawn stated that they discovered some “unexpected side effects of the planned changes to tap-strafing.” They went on to say: “Movement is sacred in Apex. We weigh every change to these systems carefully and value feedback.” Movement is sacred in Apex. We weigh every change to these systems carefully and value feedback. After further testing, we’ve concluded we need to take more time to get this right to make sure related movement mechanics aren’t caught in the cross-fire. — Respawn (@Respawn) September 13, 2021 That means players can still take advantage of the technique for the time being in its nerfed state. There is no telling if Respawn plans to further change the way the feature works, but for the time being, tap-strafing is still available in-game. So, there you have it, that’s what tap-strafing is in Apex Legends and exactly how to do it! Make sure you check out our Apex guides below and don’t forget to follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex news, and top stories.

  • What is Talos in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

What is Talos in Apex Legends? Respawn EntertainmentThe lore of Apex Legends is filled with countless unique and interesting locations that all have links to the character’s backstories. A planet that’s mentioned frequently is Talos, home of the World’s Edge map. While a lot of developers struggle to get their audience interested in a game’s lore, Respawn has had overwhelming success getting players invested in the characters of Apex Legends. Each of the Legends in the Apex Games has a backstory, lore and, secrets waiting to be discovered by players. These are unveiled through comics, ‘Stories from the Outlands’ videos, and even full physical lore books like ‘Pathfinder’s Quest’. Despite this, some locations are mentioned more than others, and a place that’s frequently referenced is Talos. So, without further ado, let’s check where and why Talos is significant in Apex Legends. What is Talos in Apex Legends Talos is a harsh and unforgiving planet stricken with intense volcanic activity. Although once only inhabited by small luddite settlements, the IMC began extracting materials from the planet after a rare mineral compound was discovered. The organization built heat-reducing towers in order to extract the precious resource. However, after one of the towers exploded, a lethal flash freeze covered the surrounding area and caused the IMC to vacate the planet as a whole. This exact location on the planet is now known as World’s Edge and is a playable map in Apex Legends. Which Legends come from Talos? So far, only one of the game’s Legends can call Talos their birthplace and that’s Bloodhound. The Technological Tracker has a reputation as a hero among the inhabitants of the planet, reintroducing technology to the local communities. It’s very possible that in the future we could see another Legend who is native to Talos appear on the roster of Legends. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see. With Season 9 nearly upon us, you can stay on top of all the latest Apex Legends information, news, and leaks using our dedicated Apex page.

  • What is Solace City in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

What is Solace City in Apex Legends? Respawn EntertainmentThe world and lore of Apex Legends is filled with countless characters, organizations, and locations. A place that’s constantly referenced in the game’s comics and backstories is Solace, but what and where is it? Ever since the release of Apex Legends all the way back in February of 2019, Respawn has been building up the game’s interesting and expansive lore. While a lot of developers have a very linear way of explaining a game’s backstory, with its roots in Titanfall, Respawn uses a variety of outlets to share stories from the Apex universe. From animated ‘Stories from the Outlands’ videos to short Twitter comics, Apex’s lore is incredibly accessible and interesting to dive into. The devs even released a book that takes a deeper dive into the backstory of Apex called ‘Pathfinder’s Quest’. Although the universe of Apex is filled with a range of unique locations, Solace is mentioned regularly in the lore and is a place of particular significance. Without further ado, let’s check out where and what Solace is in Apex Legends. What is Solace in Apex Legends? Solace is a desert planet in the center of the Outlands under Syndicate jurisdiction. It is also the location of the Kings Canyon map from Apex Legends, which was formally a military base before being transformed into an arena for the Apex Games. Solace City on the other hand is the only city and urban center on the planet, located near the coast of the Nostos Ocean. This is where the majority of Solace’s citizens live, and is the place that Caustic references in the latest Apex Legends Twitter comic. In the latest edition, Caustic reveals his plans to test his gas on a larger scale, that being Solace City. Hearing this, Wattson rushes to find the scientist and attempt to change his mind before it’s too late. You can check out the full comic below: Which Legends come from Solace? Despite Solace’s harsh landscape, a number of Apex’s legends call the desert planet their home. With Gibraltar, Wattson, Revenant, and Mirage having originally come from Solace. While Solace certainly isn’t as aesthetically appealing as Olympus, it has its fair share of interesting locations. These include Mirage’s ‘Paradise Lounge’ bar in Solace City and Little Mouse, a small town that’s home to Gibraltar’s family. There’s no doubt it’s a significant location that will continue to be referenced frequently in the backstory and lore. Read More: Apex Legends private matches are coming soon – For now, it’s just a waiting game until Season 9 which is set to begin in early May. Rest assured, Respawn will release a lot of lore-related content in the lead-up to the update and after it has gone live.

For those interested, here’s how to join Realm and get on the path to being a pro. Apex Legends has been labeled the most difficult FPS in gaming by some of the biggest names in the community, and attempting to master it is an enormous undertaking. While ALGS stardom is quite the upside for those who do reach the top of the game, it takes a mountain of time and effort to make it that far. If you have those kinds of grand ambitions and want a taste of pro gameplay, Realm is the optimal way to get into matches with the best in the world. This exclusive competitive arena has lofty standards that each entrant has to meet, but the door is largely open for those who clear those benchmarks. What is Realm in Apex Legends? As mentioned before, Realm is the best place for upcoming stars to make a name for themselves in the Apex scene. A $150,000 prize pool per region anchors this solo-queue system which ranks people by individual performance. Players who generate the biggest impact on their individual squads will see their MMR climb, while those that struggle will fall into the lower ranks. There are cash rewards for the highest performers, as well as the added benefit of having your gameplay seen by the game’s top talent. How to join Realm and prove yourself in Apex Legends The reality of the situation is that not many players will make the cut. The official website and Discord server are the best resources for those who want to join, but here are the general requirements: Previous Challengers Cup/Pro League Qualifier experience – Reach Apex Predator in North America (Season 12 excluded) – Reach Masters+ in EMEA (Season 12 excluded) – Have a Liquipedia page with playing history – Outside of this, only players with strong vouches from those who are already competing in Realm will be allowed to participate. • What is the max level in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

What is the max level in Apex Legends? For those players who have been wondering what the maximum level cap is in Apex Legends, we have some information to share with you. As with most games that have a leveling system, Apex Legends has a maximum level that players can reach after which they will no longer be able to level up their account. Players can level up their rank by playing the game and earning XP, with additional XP being awarded for getting eliminations, winning matches, and more. According to the official Apex Legends FAQ on the EA website, the max level cap is currently set at 500, and it’s not clear when or if that cap will be raised down the line. Of course, there is a lot of incentive for you to level up your rank in Apex Legends, most notably all of the extra content that is awarded throughout the leveling up process. Although Apex Packs are not awarded every time you level up, you can still earn a total of 198 packs by the time your reach level 500. And that is not taking into account rewards from the battle pass. In December 2019 Respawn updated the game to increase the level cap from 100 all the way up to 500. The rewards are retroactive and open up players to lots of new Apex packs and also means players can get more legends tokens they can spend on cosmetics in the games store. There is a possibility that EA decide to update the level cap again with a lot of die hard fans of the game already reaching the level 500 cap and asking for more progression. So there you have it, now you know everything there is to know about the level cap in Apex Legends. As always, make sure to follow us on Twitter @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex news and updates!

  • What is Low Profile and Fortified in Apex Legends? Guide to Legend hitboxes – Dexerto

What is Low Profile and Fortified in Apex Legends? Guide to Legend hitboxes Respawn EntertainmentEach character in Apex Legends has their own unique hitbox, and some even have matching passive buffs or nerfs to boot. Here’s everything you need to know about these passive abilities, like Low Profile and Fortified, and how they can affect the outcome of your firefights. Much of Respawn Entertainment’s design philosophy in Apex Legends revolves around the game’s diverse cast of characters. With the number of Legends doubling since release, the developers have their hands full with balancing each aspect of the game’s 16 different competitors. While each Legend’s set of abilities is the focal point of their balancing, one subtle — but extremely important — factor is their hitbox. Each character in Apex has their own unique hitbox, which makes sense when you consider how different each of these characters are from one another. Alongside these hitboxes are two passive perks Respawn has applied to some characters in order to level the playing field: Low Profile and Fortified. Here’s everything you need to know about how these hitbox-based passives work, and which Legends are affected by them. What is Low Profile & which Legends have it? The first of the game’s two passive hitbox-related perks is Low Profile. Characters with this perk have been identified by Respawn as harder for enemies to hit due to the size of their hitbox, and therefore suffer a penalty of 5% increased damage from incoming sources. There are three characters in Apex Legends currently affected by Low Profile: Wraith, Lifeline, and Wattson. If you jump into the arena as one of these Legends, you might be harder to hit, but you’ll also suffer from that 5% increase to the damage you take from your enemies. Many veteran players are already familiar with the debate around Wraith’s hitbox. Pathfinder was previously given the Low Profile designation but the perk was then removed from the friendly robot, and Respawn confirmed they are looking into removing the perk from the game entirely. What is Fortified & which Legends have it? On the other end of the spectrum, Apex Legends’ larger contenders have their own unique passive: Fortified. Legends with the Fortified perk have all incoming damage reduced by 15% and are not slowed when hit by bullets — something other characters in the game must contend with. The only two Legends who benefit from Fortified are Gibraltar and Caustic, which should come as no surprise considering the size of their hitboxes compared to smaller characters like Wraith, and even more average-sized Legends like Mirage, Octane, or Fuse. Revenant is also on the larger side of the hitbox curve, but Respawn have decided not to give him the benefits of Fortified (for now). While the developers have said they are looking into removing Low Profile from the battle royale, it remains to be seen whether tweaks to Fortified are coming as well. Future Apex Legends hitbox updates Hitboxes in Apex remain an important balancing tool for Respawn, but they have also been a major pain point for the developer. In fact, Respawn previously revealed that, looking back on their design decision, unique hitboxes have been a “curse” on the game. The majority of Apex Legends’ characters can be balanced without the use of Low Profile or Fortified (with only five of the game’s 16 characters being given one of those perks). Individual character hitboxes can also be updated to buff or nerf the strength of specific Legends. With Respawn already confirming their plans to remove Low Profile from the game at some point, it certainly seems like the developer has a good idea of how they’d like to keep the game’s characters, and their hitboxes, in check with future tweaks and updates.

  • What is KP in Apex Legends & how do you earn it? – Dexerto

What is KP in Apex Legends & how do you earn it? Respawn EntertainmentIn Apex Legends, earning KP is essential for climbing the ladder of Ranked in the Battle Royale. But what exactly is KP, and how do you earn it in Apex? Let’s shed some light on the situation. Apex Legends players have been enjoying the battle royale’s competitive Ranked mode for a while now. Here, players are matched with others at a similar skill level, and rewards can be earned during Ranked Seasons depending on how high you climb. In order to progress through the Ranked Battle Royale ladder and make your way to Apex Predator, you’ll need to score plenty of RP (Ranked Points) during matches. This can be done by winning a match, but also by earning KP along the way. Below, we’ll explain what KP is, what the maximum amount you can earn is, and why it’s so important for competitive play in Apex Legends. Contents What is KP in Apex Legends? KP stands for Kill Points, and you earn them by getting kills or assists (dealing damage to an enemy within 10 seconds of them being knocked down). In order to level up in Ranked mode, players need to earn RP (Ranked Points), and getting KP is a big part of that. Each KP is worth a minimum of 10RP (Ranked Points), but there is a multiplier based on how well your team places in a match to make things a bit deeper. The higher you place, the more RP you’ll earn from getting KP, so the key to rising through the ranks in Apex Legends is to both max your KP and win the match. What is the max KP in Apex Legends? You can earn a maximum of 6 KP (Kill Points) in a single Ranked match in Apex Legends. It doesn’t matter whether you’re getting kills or assists, as soon as you reach 6 KP, you won’t be able to go any higher as it caps there. As a result, you’ll often see players go for the kill early on to reach the highest KP available, before quickly turning their attention to winning the match: Once you’ve reached max KP, winning is the main goal. Ranked Arenas mode works a little differently. Instead of RP, you’ll need to earn AP (Arenas Points) to climb the ladder. The only way to earn AP is by winning, so you don’t need to worry about KP in this mode. • What is Gun Run in Apex Legends? New LTM with Gun Game twist – Dexerto

What is Gun Run in Apex Legends? New LTM with Gun Game twist Respawn EntertainmentApex Legend’s Beat of Prey Collection Event begins on September 20, adding the new Gun Run LTM. Here’s everything you need to know about Apex’s take on Gun Game. Apex Legends Season 14 doesn’t end until November 1, but players are already looking forward to Season 15 and a potential new map. The new event adds Loba’s Garra de Alanza fan Heirloom and a variety of new cosmetics. One of the more intriguing additions is the Gun Run LTM. Players have eagerly been waiting for a new map since 2021. Respawns’ new Beast of Prey Collection Event should help bridge the gap for impatient fans. How Gun Run works in Apex Legends Gun Run pits your team against three other squads in a race similar to the classic FPS game mode Gun Game. Each time you get a kill with a weapon, you advance to the next weapon in a race to complete the weapon track. The final weapon is a new throwing knife. An interesting wrinkle is killing enemies propels you over teammates and awards the next highest weapon on the track. Each team member won’t have to play with all 25 weapons. Infinite ammo, health items, and automatic respawns streamline the experience. Gun Run is playable on Skulltown and Fragment East (World’s Edge) maps. When is gun Run coming to Apex Legends? As mentioned above, Gun Run will arrive with the Beast of Prey Collection event on September 20 and will be removed from Apex on October 4. As it’s only in the pool for two weeks, ensure you make the most out of the LTM, as it’s hard to know when it will return.

  • What is Flashpoint in Apex Legends: LTM returns in Unshackled event – Dexerto

What is Flashpoint in Apex Legends: LTM returns in Unshackled event Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Unshackled thematic event kicks off on April 19 and with comes the return of the Flashpoint LTM, but how does it work? Apex Legends Season 13 is on the horizon and with it expected to arrive in early May, the community’s eyes are firmly fixed on the major update. While no official announcements have been made, all teasers and leaks are pointing towards Newcastle being the new Legend with a kit that’s centered around defending his teammates. Despite this, there’s still one more event to tick off the roadmap before Season 13 and that’s the Unshackled event kicking off on April 19. Alongside a range of unique cosmetics, the update is bringing back the Flashpoint LTM, but how does this fast-paced mode work? Contents How Flashpoint works in Apex Legends After first making its debut in Apex back in the Aftermarket event, the Flashpoint LTM has finally returned but this time, it’s on Olympus. In this fast-paced mode, all healing items are removed from the match, so players must relocate to “Flashpoint Zones” if they want to regenerate their health and shields. These huge giant circular zones can be easily spotted from far away and force squads to group up together and take gunfights. Finally, keep in mind the final circle will end on a Flashpoint Zone so make sure you’re prepared and nearby the dome that’s most likely to be the end game location. When is Flashpoint coming to Apex Legends? Flashpoint will be available to play in Apex on April 19 and will stay in-game until May 3 when the Unshackled event concludes. As it’s only in the pool for two weeks, ensure you make the most out of the LTM as it’s hard to know when it will return. • What is code:truck error in Apex Legends & how to fix it? Latest from EA – Dexerto

What is code:truck error in Apex Legends & how to fix it? Latest from EA Respawn Entertainment/EAAfter Apex Legends received its Holo-Day Bash update, many fans are reporting a brand new code:truck error that’s preventing them from entering the game. Here’s what you need to know about the odd server issue that everyone seems to be getting. Earlier today, the Holo-Day Bash update went live for Apex Legends, which added in a slew of new content, including some skins and a brand new LTM. Unbeknownst to players, it seems to have added something else to the game that’s causing a lot of people headaches as they try to log-in. The Apex community is now reporting a new error code:truck when they attempt to log-in, which is causing some major issues and seems to be caused by the Holo-Day Bash update, although this part is a bit unclear. Here’s what you need to know about the error and if there’s anything that can be done to solve it. What is the code:truck error in Apex Legends According to the error messages seen by players, either the game itself or the player is “out of sync with the server.” What that actually means is anyone’s guess. What we do know about code:truck is that it’s preventing people from logging into the game. It’s affecting a large number of people on all platforms, although the exact extent of this is unclear as of the time of this writing. Hopefully more information will be available soon. What can be done to fix the code:truck error? Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a surefire fix for the error. As of 7:10 EST on December 1, 2020, Electronic Arts and Respawn haven’t released a fix for the bug. That being said, they did comment on the error, saying they are looking into the problem. Beyond that, however, we have no update as to what’s causing this error for some players, how extensive is the problem, and, most importantly, what the fix is for it. Hey Legends, are you getting a Code:Truck error and having connectivity issues in #ApexLegends? We’re looking into it. While we’re working on a fix, wait 40 minutes from when you first get the error and try again. — EA Help (@EAHelp) December 1, 2020 Over on Reddit, some players are reporting on a few different fixes but none of the them are confirmed. One player reported that they were able to workaround the issue by changing the date and time on their PS4 and few others confirmed its success. Hopefully a fix becomes available in the near future to avoid it spreading to other people, which would result in the amount of players logging into Apex Legends to plummet.

  • What is Armed and Dangerous in Apex Legends: LTM returns in Gaiden event – Dexerto

What is Armed and Dangerous in Apex Legends: LTM returns in Gaiden event Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Gaiden thematic event kicks off on July 19 and with it comes the return of the Armed and Dangerous LTM, but how does it work? Apex Legends Season 14 is finally on the horizon and with the major update expected to arrive in early August, the community’s eyes are firmly fixed on the upcoming patch. Despite this, there’s still one more event to enjoy before the end of Saviors and that’s the Gaiden Thematic event. Kicking off on July 19, the event will last for a total of two weeks, concluding on August 2. Alongside a range of unique cosmetics, the update is bringing back the Armed and Dangerous LTM, but how does this action-packed mode work? How Armed and Dangerous works in Apex Legends After making its debut in Apex back in the Voidwalker event, Armed and Dangerous has finally returned and it’s taking place on World’s Edge, Olympus, and Storm Point. Simple, chaotic, and action-packed, Armed and Dangerous adopts the typical battle royale format but only allows players to use snipers and shotguns. Not only that, basic shield spawns are lower so every shot counts against your opponents – so make sure you hit the target. While it hasn’t been confirmed by Respawn just yet, leaks have suggested that the Kraber and Mastiff will head into the Replicators for a few days, so be on the lookout for materials. When is Armed and Dangerous coming to Apex Legends? As mentioned above, Armed and Dangerous will arrive with the Gaiden Thematic event on July 19 and will be removed from Apex on August 2. As it’s only in the pool for two weeks, ensure you make the most out of the LTM as it’s hard to know when it will return.

  • What is a “boop glitch” in Apex Legends? ‘Vertical superglide’ mechanic explained – Dexerto

What is a “boop glitch” in Apex Legends? ‘Vertical superglide’ mechanic explained Respawn EntertainmentA movement technique in Apex Legends is giving players a ‘vertical superglide’ that some are calling a “boop glitch.” Here’s everything we know about the strange tech. The Apex community is known for finding and utilizing every kind of movement trick to maximize their chances during a fight. This has given way to popular techs throughout the seasons such as tap strafing and punch-boosting. Years into the game’s development, people are still finding new ways to outplay their opponents by pushing the boundaries of Apex’s physics. Recreating boop glitches in a useful way could open up the game’s verticality even more, that is if people can find a reliable way to do it. Apex Legends boop glitch I think thats called a boop glitch? Unexplainable vertical bounce more than likely not reproducible, super sick clip tho. If its not a boop glitch then maybe the stairs boosted your wall bounce/grapple momentum and sent you at an angle? — Albralelie (@TSM_Albralelie) September 10, 2021 The boop glitch essentially gives Apex players upward momentum to quickly scale a building’s floor or get over large obstacles in no time at all. In application, this looks like a Legend hitting a wall with some speed and seamlessly transitioning to a jump much higher than is typically seen. “Hitting a corner may convert horizontal momentum to vertical momentum, so if you jump immediately after, you can use that vertical momentum to jump higher,” one user said, explaining the tech. The prevailing theory suggests that hitting a corner at a “precise angle” will give players a brief window to redirect their trajectory to jump higher. Clips show people performing the tech in-game, though always with a bit of uncertainty of how exactly they managed to pull off the move. “Now, hear me out, I don’t think it’s a boop glitch, but 3k hours on pathy and i’ve never done this,” one player said. With punch-boost fever hitting the Apex community, we’ve seen people extending their momentum to the point of ‘supergliding’ across POIs. As more players experiment with the boop glitch, we could see another movement trick etch itself into the Apex Legends meta as soon as someone finds how to consistently pull it off.

  • What happens if you play with hackers in Apex Legends? Respawn reveal new anti-cheat strategy – Dexerto

What happens if you play with hackers in Apex Legends? Respawn reveal new anti-cheat strategy With Respawn Entertainment declaring a ‘war on cheaters’ in their July 12 update for Apex Legends, they are looking to rid the popular battle royale of all kinds of hackers by enforcing some strict new rules. In addition to the anti-cheat software already in place on PC, Respawn implemented a new system that will match up “detected cheaters and spammers together” in the same game. This new method attracted the most attention from players, many of whom have become increasingly disgruntled with the level of persistent cheaters they are coming up against, especially since the addition of ranked play. Partying up with cheaters in Apex Legends However, Respawn didn’t stop there, and have also taken measures to prevent ‘boosting’ – when a player joins up to play with a cheater to climb the ranks, even if that player isn’t using any cheats themselves. Respawn state that “even if you are not specifically using a cheat, partying up with cheaters is still cheating.” If there is evidence that you are deliberately partying up with a player using hacks in Apex Legends, then you too will receive the same punishment, a developer confirmed on Reddit. Of course, players need to be ‘obviously’ partying up with cheaters – this presumably means partying up more than once with the same cheating player. How exactly Respawn will determine this is unclear. To stay on the safe side, you will want to ensure that you remain wary of any teammates you have, and if their gameplay looks suspicious to you, simply submit a report and don’t play with them again. The developers are understandably keen to purge cheaters from Apex Legends, especially now that there is a ranked mode in the game, with the stakes a little higher. Their latest update included a new ‘machine learning’ system which should better detect and auto ban hackers. Future updates to combat cheating will come regularly, even on a weekly basis, but the developer has stated that they will not always be listed on patch notes. There’s also been another controversy surrounding Apex Legends ranked play, after popular streamer KingRichard used a XIM device to use a keyboard and mouse on console, which some consider cheating. Keyboard and mouse is not natively supported by Apex Legends on console, but despite the controversy, Respawn is yet to address the issues.

  • What happens when an entire Apex Legends lobby drops at Wraith’s Town Takeover? – Dexerto

What happens when an entire Apex Legends lobby drops at Wraith’s Town Takeover? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are definitely excited to try out the new offerings that came packaged with the Voidwalker update, creating instant chaos at the start of matches. Respawn Entertainment have fully launched their next event for their popular battle royale, which introduced a new Town Takeover. While the last one was inspired by Octane and his thrill-seeking history, this players will be exploring Wraith’s past. In doing so, the Apex Legends devs added in a “functioning prototype portal” so that players could hop into the mysterious research site that’s been unearthed on the Apex Games battlefield. But players too eager to explore the new area have been bombarding the point of interest called Singh Labs Interior, leading to hysterical brawls and impressive multi-kills. In a Reddit post, user ‘givaar’ showed what happens when someone queues “up straight after a new update” that brings shiny new content to ravage through. As they panned the camera backwards, they could see a swarm of players diving straight for the new portal on the map. The player then found themselves in a free-for-all fist fight as people frantically searched the corridors for any kind of weapon. While they were eventually able to win out against three people and survive the initial onslaught, the halls were filled with echoes of calamity as the kill feed was at a near-constant scroll with freshly eliminated players. A separate clip by user ‘Rus_Nix’ showed just how well Caustic mains are doing now that the most popular locale is a claustrophobic facility that’s ripe for a Toxic Trapper to go to work. After seeing how many people were about to land in the new location, the Caustic player can be heard saying: “Wait wait wait, I got this. Don’t even worry.” As soon as they came out of the portal, Rus_Nix instantly spread out Caustic’s Nox Gas Traps which was unsurprisingly effective, and made the streamer high-pitched with excitement seeing as their name was being spammed on the kill feed. The new Apex Legends Town Takeover has given the game new life for many, but it might be best to avoid Singh Labs and its interior until the hype settles down a bit.

  • What happened to the blue supply bins in Apex Legends Season 4? – Dexerto

What happened to the blue supply bins in Apex Legends Season 4? RespawnDataminers That1MiningGuy and ILootGames have had an Apex Legends developer confirm the fate of the blue supply bins that appeared in teasers for Season 4 – and it’s not good news if you’re on the hunt for one. Prior to the release of Apex Legends season four – which gave fans the chance to finally play as Revenant, grab some brand-new cosmetics, and play the updated World’s Edge map – there had been teasers about what was set to come. In a few of these teasers, most notably the trailer for the new season, eagle-eyed fans of the battle royale title noted that they had spotted brand-new blue supply bins. While they were never confirmed to appear, players immediately speculated about what could be inside these bins – including, perhaps, the guarantee of upgraded loot. Well, season four released back on February 4, and there haven’t been any confirmed sightings of the new colored supply bins. The reason for that, though, has been revealed via That1MiningGuy and ILootGames’ Data Den podcast. “One of the staff members from Respawn, one of the developers, they confirmed that the blue bins is just something that slipped into the screenshot but it is not for this season,” explained ILootGames. As for the reason why, That1MiningGuy noted that the blue bins themselves are for playtesting so that people who test the game can quickly use specific items instead of needing to go around and search through a whole host of normal supply bins. Timestamp for mobile viewers of 28:55 The dataminer also confirmed that there are ‘rarity bins’ in the game’s code, meaning that something could come in the future that allows players to get better loot from specific bins, but for now, the blue bins won’t be popping up in-game any time soon. Though that will no doubt disappoint a few players, it is just something that Respawn will have to keep an eye on in the near future – making sure nothing else accidentally slips through the cracks and builds hype.

  • What does a Hop-Up do in Apex Legends? Complete weapons guide – Dexerto

What does a Hop-Up do in Apex Legends? Complete weapons guide Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ armory is incredibly diverse with each weapon bringing its own advantages to a firefight, but those guns can be way more effective with the use of a simple Hop-Up attachment. Even though players dropping into King’s Canyon experiment with any gun they find during the mad scramble at the start of a match, they might not know how exactly the elusive weapon attachments will enhance their loadouts. While there’s been tons of weapons guide that give players a sense of the damage charts after the Season 2 update, some stats can wildly improve by clipping the different Hop-Ups available in the game. In a Reddit post, user ‘iGameYT’ put out a gigantic list of comprehensive stats that break down how every weapon performs, then added a line with their corresponding attachment whether it’s the Turbocharger, Selectfire, Disruptor, Hammerpoint or Skullpiercer. Along with the stats, the user uploaded a video that, for example, demonstrates how the Turbocharger beefs up the Havoc and Devotion respectively, as they can both get amplified using that Hop-Up. “What the Turbocharger does for these two guns is either directly diminish or reduce the spin up times for each of these guns,” iGame said. “The Havoc has a half-second delay before it fires its first bullet, same for the Devotion LMG that takes a while to wind up for its full rate-of-fire.” Even though the heavy rifles have a huge draw to them, the Turbocharger makes them vastly superior than their non-Hop-Up counterparts as the attachment “directly impacts their rate-of-fire of each weapon, thus improving its overall damage output.” https://i.redd.it/g8iu80q1v1f31.jpgWhile casual players can get overwhelmed with all the stats and numbers flying around, a few key numbers to look at in iGameYT’s chart are the TTK (time to kill) and obviously the damage ticks. With those stats alone, players can equip themselves with the knowledge for the best weapons to throw a Hop-Up attachment when planning out their loadout for the mid-to-late game in a given Apex Legends match. The explainer is a valuable source for players looking to find the best combination of loot, which could definitely be the decider to winning out in a game of Apex Legends.

  • What does first Apex Legends teaser mean for Season 4? – Dexerto

What does first Apex Legends teaser mean for Season 4? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 4 kicks off on February 4, and with less than a fortnight until the big update, the first teaser has arrived above the map, with a mysterious ship appearing in the sky. Players who hopped into World’s End on January 21 may have noticed some bright lights in the sky, as what looks like a ship came into view through the clouds, and looks to be plummeting towards the ground to coincide with the start of Season 4. What this ship actually means for the new season has yet to be confirmed by Respawn Entertainment, but thanks to leaks, we already have a few ideas as to what could happen when the vessel finally makes contact with World’s End. Bringing a new Legend? A ship heading towards the ground is likely to be carrying something of value, and what’s more valuable to Apex Legends than a new character for players to use in search of victories? So far, each new season of the popular battle royale title has added someone new, and leaks suggest we can expect another to appear to kick off Season 4. According to leaks, Revenant and Forge are the most likely candidates to be added in the game, so it’s possible that one of them is commandeering the ship as they prepare to make the grandest of entrances to the Apex Games. Could it destroy World’s End? For many, the prospect of returning to the game’s original map named Kings Canyon is a welcome one, with plenty of excitement from fans when a special limited-time mode took them back at the beginning of Season 3. Fan theories have suggested that we could end up back there, and perhaps this ship is how this will come to fruition. The ship could collect all the Legends and return them to the original arena, or could crash into the ground, causing destruction and carnage that forces the characters to escape back to the relative safety of Kings Canyon, away from the damage caused by the explosion. Carrying supplies? Another possibility is that there is nobody actually on the ship, and instead is bringing a host of new items for players to wield while in combat during Season 4. Dataminers have already revealed that the Volt SMG from the Titanfall franchise, which was also developed by Respawn, is in the game’s files and set to debut, so it’s possible that this ship could be full of these weapons, and perhaps other goodies, to help players create some new carnage in the future. What this teaser really means remains a mystery though, and fans will have to wait for the developers to drop more clues before any accurate predictions can be made. The next teaser is expected on January 23, so we won’t have long to wait to see what happens next.

  • What does Branthium mean in Apex Legends? Horizon & Ash Season 7 teasers – Dexerto

What does Branthium mean in Apex Legends? Horizon & Ash Season 7 teasers Respawn EntertainmentAmid all the teasers for Apex Legends Season 7, one word has been on the lips of a number of characters: Branthium. But, what is this? Now, we finally have an answer to the mystery: but we’ve got a whole load more questions too. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] The first time we heard the word Branthium in Apex Legends, it came from Ash, at the end of the Season 5 Broken Ghost quest. Ash is the villain from Titanfall 2, who was recruited by Kuben Blisk, before she “died” at the hands of Jack Cooper, was put back together again, her memory wiped, and then her head split into parts and spread throughout Kings Canyon. Once the Legends put her head back together, she spoke to them, and, as part of an unintelligible message, said: “all roads lead to Branthium.” What is Branthium in Apex Legends? After the mention from Ash, in the first Twitter teaser for Season 7, Horizon (expected to be the next playable Legend), repeated the word “Branthium” in among all the static. It later became clear that Horizon was repeating what Ash said – or, perhaps Ash was repeating Horizon. Definitely sounds like Horizon says “”Branthium.”” At the end of the Broken Ghost quest, Ash said “”All roads lead to Branthium””…#ApexLegends https://t.co/PwwYJElnVY — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 19, 2020 Is Branthium a place? The saying, “all roads lead to Branthium”, is undoubtedly a play on the common phrase “all roads lead to Rome.” Typically, this saying refers to “all paths or activities lead to the center of things” – it comes from Ancient Rome in the literal sense, when all roads started from the capital city. So, at first, most theories believed Branthium was a place, possibly related to the planet Psamathe and its city, Olympus. Ash finished her monologue by saying “Welcome to Olympus.” But, a spanner was thrown in the works of this theory by Horizon. In the latest Twitter teaser, Horizon says: “Just got to figure out how he can fuse the Branthium (or Brantium?) without critical mass.” …Just got to figure out how he can fuse the Brantium without critical mass. At least I didn’t almost nuke my ship today, there’s a start! Oh, what I would give to be home… clean, and just with him.”” — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 23, 2020 So, is Branthium actually some kind of element, or fuel, or material? This remains unclear, but it wouldn’t make sense for Ash (and Horizon) to say “All roads lead to Branthium,” if it was simply some kind of element. The truth about Branthium revealed It didn’t take long for Respawn to reveal the truth behind Branthium, confirming that it was in fact an element that the people of Psamathe needed as an energy source, to solve their looming energy crisis. Unfortunately, after retrieving the Branthium, Somers was betrayed and left to die in the abyss of space, which is where the Season 7 story is about to pick up. Horizon kept the original sample of Branthium for herself, before she set out to fulfill her promise to her son. This could line up with the involvement of Hammon Robotics too. The Planet Harvester which launched in Season 4 is being used by Hammond “to gather precious metals from the core of the planet for reasons unknown.” It’s still possible that Branthium is both a place and an element, with the latter named after the former. Season 7 is set to start on November 4 – a week earlier than initially planned – so we should learn a lot more then.

  • What are the new blue supply bins in Apex Legends Season 4? – Dexerto

What are the new blue supply bins in Apex Legends Season 4? RespawnEagle-eyed Apex Legends fans have confirmed the appearance of brand-new blue colored supply bins in Season Four, but what they’re doing there remains up in the air. The hype towards Apex Legends’ fourth season, named Assimilation, has been building for quite some time. That hype has only grown with the confirmation of what is coming in the new season, with Respawn finally releasing Revenant as a playable legend. The new legend isn’t the only thing to be dropping in the major February 4th update. There has been confirmation of some new skins, an all-new sniper rifle, and plenty of map changes to World’s Edge – with the harvester ship that has been lurking in the sky for a few weeks finally descending and taking pride of place on the ground. All these changes were confirmed in the February 3 trailer, yet, eagle-eyed fans who combed through the gameplay video noticed that there was something else lurking amongst the map changes. That something else is the all-new blue supply bins that were originally teased by Respawn on January 29 when a screenshot about the changes to ranked play went live on their site. Similar to that tease, the reveal in the new trailer shows a blue bin lined up next to the original red bins that have been in the game since day one – with only the different colors looking to be the main difference from the outside. Though, when it comes to what is inside the bins, players have been expecting these new blue bins to have ‘upgraded’ loot – meaning that you could get improved weapons and items compared to the standard bins. While this seems like a pretty solid theory, others have been a little more cautious in their expectations. “What if we’re all just overthinking this and they’re just Hammond branded supply bins?” said Redditor IceColdQuantum. Of course, Hammond Robotics have played a big role in the lore for season four, being behind the arrival of Revenant and overall changes to the World’s Edge map. Yet, we won’t have to wait all that long to have the contents of the blue bins confirmed, with Apex Legends season four, Assimilation, going live on February 4.

  • What are stickers in Apex Legends? New Season 15 cosmetic – Dexerto

What are stickers in Apex Legends? New Season 15 cosmetic Respawn EntertainmentStickers are coming to Apex Legends in Season 15, a new cosmetic that allows players to customize their healing consumable items. While gunplay, maps, and characters are the most important aspects of Apex Legends, customization and cosmetics are a big part of the game as well, and also crucial for the developers to monetize what is otherwise a free game. Skins, banners, badges, and charms allow players to add an element of personal flair to their favorite Legends and weapons. Well, Respawn are keen on expanding this customization in Season 15 with the introduction of stickers, a brand-new cosmetic item. Unlike the current array of cosmetics, stickers cannot be placed on weapons or Legends and instead give players a chance to customize healing items. Contents What are stickers in Apex Legends? Stickers are a brand new cosmetic item available for players to collect in Apex Legends, similar to gun charms or sprays. Instead of being used to customize weapons, stickers can only be placed on healing consumables. You can check out the full list of customizable consumables below: Shield Cell – Shield Battery – Pheonix Kit – Syringe/Med Kit (Health Injector) – After the recent animation changes for healing consumables in Apex, more of the item is now displayed on screen, making space for stickers to shine. By the looks of it, only one sticker be placed on each item, and for the time being, it’s only healing items that can be customized. How to unlock stickers in Apex Legends In order to unlock stickers in Apex Legends, you’ll need to open packs or purchase them directly from the store with Apex Coins. Stickers operate in exactly the same way as any other cosmetic item, so look out for them in your next Apex pack. So, there you have it, that’s everything we know about stickers, the new cosmetic item arriving in Season 15 on November 1. Respawn also confirmed stickers will be a permanent addition, with more coming in future seasons and events. Don’t forget to check out @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends guides, news, and leaks.

  • What are dragons and flyers doing in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

What are dragons and flyers doing in Apex Legends? Apex Legends fans have had an indication for some time now that dragons would be entering the fray. Yet, after their recent release, it begs the question of what they will actually do in-game? The flyers were introduced to Apex Legends following the June 20 update, with players immediately spotting them circling the skies as they dropped into games. While some may have cowered for their lives, others quickly began thinking of ways to interact with them and wondered what Respawn Entertainment had in-store for players with the arrival of these beasts. Dragons have been teased for Apex Legends prior to the new update. It is that curiosity which has revealed what the dragons are actually here to do. Apex fans discovered that shooting at the flyers would lead to them dropping loot boxes – blue, purple, and gold varieties, to be exact. However, some may have been left surprised when they received the box and it was with a friends name – similar to how death boxes appear. Yet, if your friends haven’t tried Apex Legends yet, you will be greeted with a box from one of Respawn developers. A gift from the flyers and the developers themselves. Can you ping the flyers? As with anything in Apex, you are able to call it out and ping its location. Reddit user Lord_Sprikenham discovered that each legend has different call-outs for locating, and downing, one of the flyers as well, with a few nods to their lore. Be sure to listen out of for Bloodhound calling them ‘sky beasts’ when you’re not keeping your eyes to the skies, too. That’s a new feature. Can you ride the flyers? After figuring out that these creatures wouldn’t begin breathing fire or shooting off soundwaves if you touched them, players thought up new ways of interacting with the beasts. It became apparent that Pathfinder’s grapple could be shot at the dragons in a bid to get up to their level. Sadly, even if you are able to hit a perfect grapple shot, you won’t be able to climb on the back of the dragon and fly around as if this were Game of Thrones. Instead, you could end up flying over them completely just like Redditor Noaiche. Will there be more dragons in Apex Legends? It also appears as if these beasts won’t be the only ones joining the party at Kings Canyon. According to dataminer That1MiningGuy, there are in-game files that hint at much bigger, and more deadly, dragons in the near future. That1MiningGuy referred to the beasts that are currently in-game as ‘scouts’ and that players can expect to see bigger leviathans – and even swarms – soon. Swarms are another obvious link to Titanfall, where they were able to rip ships out of the sky. What that means for Apex Legends, however, is yet to be seen. So to everyone thinking the current flyers are pushovers… my theory is that these are the scouts, the little guys, we’ll have bigger ones, and swarms soon enough. Also MU1_Leviathan realllllly makes me think we’ll be seeing a third larger leviathan. (Probably the real L001) pic.twitter.com/TWjwUc8U4J — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) June 19, 2019 Now, it remains to be seen as to when any of this is actually added to Apex Legends, but as it stands, the flyers aren’t dangerous and are actually helpful. For now, at least. Just be wary of giving away your position when shooting at them or as Noaiche showed, trying to get on their back and completely ruining your own game.

  • Here’s what an Apex Legends fighting game would look like – Dexerto

Here’s what an Apex Legends fighting game would look like If you’ve ever wanted Respawn Entertainment to create an Apex Legends fighting game, one fan’s incredible concept shows what it could look like. Apex Legends is knee-deep into its Season 2 celebrations, and with the Leviathans now stomping around the map carelessly, the Flyers soaring over players’ heads and the addition of the battle royale’s tenth Legend Wattson, there’s a lot of transitions for Season One players to take in. One talented fan decided to celebrate the new season by creating a 2D fighting game concept for all of the characters – the end result is pretty incredible. “Finish Him!” Reddit user MysteriousMandrill posted their concept to the Apex Legends subreddit, where fans were in awe of the design. Aptly named ‘Apex Fighters’, the design shows portraits for all ten heroes in a concept character selection screen. Wattson, the game’s latest Legend, was given the full pixel art treatment, and makes us wish that we could play as her in her beautiful 2D form forever. Lifeline was also given a full portrait design rather than just a headshot, and she looks badass in her infamous peace sign pose. It takes a lot of patience and talent to create pixel art, especially when it mimics a classic fighting game format, but MysteriousMandrill absolutely smashed it – Apex Legends fighting game, when? Respawn is targeting cheaters in latest update The July 10 Apex Legends update is clamping down on cheaters, and is a welcome change to a game that’s weighed down by people playing unfairly. Respawn made the decision to turn its spectation capabilities off, meaning players will no longer be able to watch others. This helps combat exploitation by stopping people from watching opponents’ matches and giving their friends an advantage by telling them their actions. The leaving penalty is also being reinforced, as well as a bunch of bug fixes and overall improvements. Hopefully this update will make the battle royale more enjoyable for players who are fed up with unlawful winning tactics.

  • Well-timed Apex Legends exploit gives Crypto the power of invincibility – Dexerto

Well-timed Apex Legends exploit gives Crypto the power of invincibility While Crypto’s Surveillance Drone is often criticized for pulling players out of the game, the ability has surprisingly led to an over the top exploit that can make the hacker invulnerable. Crypto’s Surveillance Drone is often the focal point of much criticism in the Apex Legends community for taking players out of the first-person perspective and forcing manual control of the ability. Reducing the potential for moment to moment action, the more scout-oriented character is an acquired taste for those who prefer slower-paced, tactical gameplay as opposed to more explosive, run-and-gun action. Despite the niche however, Crypto’s robotic companion has amusingly paved the way for a new invincibility exploit that allows the character to survive even the hottest of situations. King’s Canyon was known for its lush fauna and sprawling desert environments. Conversely, Season 3’s introduction of World’s Edge saw players tackling new locales that vary from snowy mountains to dangerous, lava-coated chasms. Typically, standing in a pool of molten lava is a surefire way to receive a heaping serve of damage, however, Reddit user ‘shikaritr’ has exemplified a crafty exploit that allows Crypto to stand directly in the fire without losing a point of HP. Jumping directly into the heat, if players assume control of Crypto’s Surveillance Drone the very moment that they come in contact with the seemingly lethal substance, all damage will be negated for the duration of the aerial ability. An obscure benefit that may only come in handy when trying to scout nearby areas or flee from enemies in hot pursuit, there’s no denying that the opposition would be swept off their feet at the sight of an invincible hacker crouched in a pool of lava. Precise timing is needed to pull the exploit off without a hitch, so it might prove to be more risk than reward if attempting the strategy over the lethal liquid. There’s no telling how soon Respawn will issue a patch for this evident exploit, so if you a spot a Surveillance Drone in the wild throughout your next few games, keep in mind that it could be keeping a nearby Crypto alive and well. A unique strategy that could lead to your demise if other players are close behind, this Crypto exploit certainly isn’t the only way to survive in the heat throughout Apex Legends. Recently, Team SoloMid’s Mac ‘Albralelie’ Kenzie Beckwith demonstrated a method of looting in the midst of lava without taking significant damage in the process.

  • Weird Apex Legends movement bug prevents players from climbing – Dexerto

Weird Apex Legends movement bug prevents players from climbing Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a strange movement bug that is preventing them from climbing over railings in certain areas of Kings Canyon. After much anticipation, Apex Legends season five: Fortune’s Favor finally launched on Tuesday, May 12, bringing with it a huge set of map changes to Kings Canyon, Loba as the new legend, and tweaks to the other characters. As players have been sprinting around the battle royale’s original map in the hopes of being crowned Apex champion, they have uncovered a few bugs that need fixing already – including being unable to loot deathboxes. However, there’s another issue that is affecting the movement of every legend, especially when it comes to climbing. The new problem was pointed out by Reddit user Joshi_Boi, who pleaded with the Respawn development team to send out a fix in the future. In the Redditor’s clip, they had been attempting to scale a set of railings when they found themselves reaching the top and slipping back do again. Obviously, when a legend hits the top of the railing, they should be able to vault over it. Instead, Joshi_Boi tried multiple times to make sure it wasn’t just one part of the fence that was bugging out. As none of them worked, the Redditor had to use a leg up from a box that was sat nearby – canceling out their interaction with the fence. Other players were quick to point out that the issue had also affected them with one, wordswiththeletterB , noting that the new problem had left them pretty confused when it resulted in death during trying to escape a gunfight. The Apex devs are usually pretty quick to respond to issues as big as this, however, it doesn’t currently have a spot on their Trello board, so there is no way of knowing if they are aware of it or not. Though, players will be hoping a fix is implemented soon enough.

  • Weird Apex Legends climbing bug is ruining Revenant’s ultimate – Dexerto

Weird Apex Legends climbing bug is ruining Revenant’s ultimate Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a strange bug that prevents Revenant from returning to his Death Totem ultimate if he’s climbing any sort of structure. The character was introduced at the start of Apex Legends’ fourth season, with the Synthetic Nightmare taking the place of Forge – who had been expected to join the roster of legends. Since then, Revenant has become a regular figure on both World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. Though, the terrifying figure hasn’t been without issues. Despite being the newest legend, players have suggested plenty of changes for his abilities moving into season five and beyond. Yet, before Respawn Entertainment gets to that point, they might want to address a new bug that is ruining the character’s Death Totem ultimate. The new issue was pointed out by Reddit user Se0z, who showcased a video from their recent game playing as Revenant. The Redditor was in Death Protection mode as they attempted to scale the side of a building, yet, they were shot down before they could reach the top. While this should send Revenant flying back to the Death Totem, that didn’t happen for Se0z Instead, they were left at the mercy of the player who had just wiped out their health – leading to a pretty quick elimination. While some might write it off as a one-time-only bug, the Redditor even tried it again in the Firing Range practice mode and ended up with the exact same outcome – a quick death and no teleporting back to the Death Totem. Of course, with season five set to release in only a couple of days on May 12, Respawn might have a few issues in getting a fix worked out and added to the forthcoming patch for this bug. Revenant players will no doubt be hoping that they can get things straightened out but we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Weird Apex Legends bug places players into Ranked matches that have already started – Dexerto

Weird Apex Legends bug places players into Ranked matches that have already started Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre bug is refilling Apex Legends Ranked matches that have already started with new squads, spawning them in random locations on the map. Apex Legends Season 13 introduced Newcastle, Ranked Reloaded, and a new POI to Storm Point, giving the community plenty of content to get stuck into. Although Saviors has received a positive reception so far, as with every seasonal update, there have been a few glitches and issues that have affected the overall gameplay experience. Whether it’s Xbox lobbies being crashed or issues with Ranked RP protection when players aren’t placed into a full group, it’s safe to say Season 13 has had a few hiccups since its release. Despite this, it’s a new bug that will definitely be the most concerning problem for the devs, as players appear to be getting placed into Ranked matches after they’ve already started. Apex bug causing Ranked matches to refill with players Ranked is Apex’s most competitive mode and gives the community a chance to test out their skills against opponents of a similar level. As a result, it’s important that every match is as balanced as possible and puts every competitor on a level playing field. Unfortunately, a bug showcased on the game’s subreddit by user Crawg shows a bizarre glitch that’s causing Ranked matches to be refilled by new squads after they’ve already started. After queueing for a match, Crawg and their squad were immediately placed into a Ranked match that had reached the second ring. Not only that, the number of squads in the lobby shot up from 17 to 20 as soon they arrived in-game, suggesting another two groups were also added to the match. It’s hard to know how widespread this bug is currently as the devs have not responded to the issue just yet, but it’s definitely a concern for those grinding Ranked. Having more competitors added to the match halfway through not only reduces your chances of winning but also increases the likelihood of getting third-partied. Without a doubt, Respawn will need to address this problem as soon as possible, otherwise, it has the potential to undermine the entire Ranked system.

  • Weird Apex Legends bug lets players walk while knocked down – Dexerto

Weird Apex Legends bug lets players walk while knocked down Respawn EntertainmentA glitch in Apex Legends has been discovered which can allow players who have been downed by an enemy to walk instead of crawling. Despite its overwhelming success when it was first released, Apex Legends still has quite a few bugs and glitches that can affect the gameplay from time to time. The latest glitch that has been identified seems to offer players increased mobility after they have been downed, even allowing them to walk away from a fight. The glitch was found by reddit user “GoRight258,” where it shows them crawling into Wraith’s Ultimate ability portals after being knocked by an enemy and coming out of the other one standing with much more mobility such as crouching and increased speed. It appears as if the bug may have something to do with Wraith’s second dimensional rift portal being placed in the air, although it still remains unclear how exactly players can replicate this glitch. GoRight258 and his teammate had a hilarious reaction once they realized that something was different and that he had increased mobility, breaking out into laughter he said, “wait, why am I moving so fast? What’s going on…wait i’m standing?” He also took advantage of the opportunity and tested just how much this glitch would allow him to do, when he tried to potentially revive himself by using his syringes but it was to no avail, “Can I heal myself please? No!” he said, while bursting into laughter. There have been multiple glitches in Apex Legends which players have exploited to move around the map quicker, most notably the supply bin and jump pad glitch which allowed players to travel across King’s Canyon in seconds. It is likely that Respawn will be quick to remove this bug from the game once they understand how it can be replicated and what the main cause for this increased mobility is.

  • Weapon models of five leaked guns potentially coming to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Weapon models of five leaked guns potentially coming to Apex Legends Data miners have uncovered names for six new weapons found in the Apex Legends game files, and shared 3D model renders of what they are likely to look like – if and when they are added to the game officially. Since its surprise launch on February 4, only a single new weapon has been added to Apex Legends, which is leaving players a little impatient for some new firepower. The Havoc energy rifle was added only a couple weeks after launch too, which means it’s been over a month – at the time of writing – since a new gun has been added. Although, we have had a new legend in Octane with the start of Season 1. What new weapons are coming to Apex Legends? We already know for certain that the L-Star is bound to be added at some point, and likely very soon, after players actually begin unlocking skins for the weapon in Apex Packs. The L-Star is a peculiar one, since it’s featured on the cover art for Apex Legends, held by Bloodhound. 500Other weapons in the game files are less certain, as some of them could simply be leftovers from Titanfall 2 assets, but it’s exciting to speculate if these guns will ever be added. Data miner @RealApexLeaks has found 3D models of five weapons currently in the game files, which you can see for yourself below. EPG The EPG was a unique weapon in Titanfall 2. A single fire energy weapon, it packed a serious punch and could take out players in a single shot. Softball Unlike any other weapon on this list, the Softball is in fact a grenade launcher, rather than a standard bullet or energy based gun. This would certainly make a big change to gameplay if it is added to Apex Legends. Defender The Defender wasn’t a Titanfall 2 weapon, but it appears to be based on the Charge Rifle, which was. The Charge Rifle, as its name suggests, must be charged up before firing, which results in a deadly, high-damage beam. In Titanfall, though, it was primarily an anti-Titan weapon. It will be interesting to see how it would play out in a game like Apex Legends, with the absence of titans. Archer Another peculiar find in the game files is the Archer, because – yet again – this was an anti-Titan weapon. However, there’s currently no rocket launcher in Apex Legends, and players would certainly have some fun with it. ARL The ARL is a bit more of a mystery, as we can’t seem to find a direct link to any Titanfall weapons with this one. It looks rather like a compact light-machine gun, which would add to the Spitfire and Devotion LMG’s already available. Of course, it must be noted, as with all data mined leaks, that just because these weapons are in the game files doesn’t guarantee that they will be added to the game. Realistically, the safest bet would be the L-Star, but even that isn’t 100% certain yet. For example, some of the weapons shown below were found in the game files in March, but have since been removed. Apex Legends fans will have to be patient and wait until Respawn officially announce a new weapon, before we know for sure.

  • Apex Legends Season 10 weapon changes: EVA-8 nerf, 30-30 buff, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends Season 10 weapon changes: EVA-8 nerf, 30-30 buff, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 10 is upon us and brought with it a number of huge changes and new features. Of course, this means a shift in the weapon meta, with certain weapons being buffed, nerfed, or better balanced for the Apex Games. Emergence introduces new legend Seer to Apex Legends when it drops on August 3, as well as some map changes to World’s Edge. You can find out more about both of those in the full Apex Legends Season 10 patch notes. Not only that, but the Rampage LMG arrives in the game too, a high-powered heavy ammo LMG that can beam in mid-range gunfights. Here are all the weapon changes in Apex Legends Season 10. Apex Legends Season 10 weapon buffs & nerfs L-Star buff The L-Star has seen a number of changes for Apex Legends Season 10, so don’t be surprised to see it become a far more popular weapon throughout the season. Here’s what’s changing: Now takes Energy Magazines—Mags on the L-STAR work differently than other weapons because of its unique interaction with ammo. Instead they will allow the L-STAR to fire more shots before it overheats and allow it to cool-off its heat build up slightly faster. – Now take Barrels for recoil reduction – Projectile VFX scale reduced by roughly half – First-Person on-hit impact effect intensity reduced – Hipfire spread increased – 30-30 Repeater buff It’s not a huge change for the 30-30 Repeater, but the reload speed from stocks has increased. With the amount of time you spend reloading the 30-30, this will no doubt be handy going forwards. EVA-8 nerf Significantly reduced bolt fire-rate scaling for each rarity tier – Base fire-rate remains unchanged – Only minor changes for the EVA-8, but it should now be better balanced alongside the Peacekeeper and Mastiff shotguns. Prowler Burst PDW nerf The former supply drop SMG has received a slight nerf as it returns to floor loot, with the Time Between Burst increased from 0.2 to 0.24. You also won’t be able to use select fire on the Prowler anymore. M600 Spitfire Buff The ever-changing Spitfire has received a buff for Season 10, because it’s going into care packages, with the following changes: Damage increased from 18 to 19 – Hip Fire Spread back to season 8 pre-nerf values – Purple Mag Size increased from 50 to 55 – LMG nerfs In order to slow down the tried and true “spray and pray” method for LMGs, the headshot multiplier on these weapons has seen a considerable reduction, although there has been a slight increase on limbshot multipliers. Reduced the headshot multiplier for all LMGs from 2.0 to 1.75 – Increased the limbshot multiplier for all LMGs from 0.75 to 0.85 – Pistol buffs in Season 10 Pistols received a slight buff in Season 10, with changes to the handling of the weapons. This should counter the hit they took from the removal of the Quickdraw Holster and reload speed moving from mags to stocks. Reduced handling time for all pistols by ~10% – Raise, Holster, Zoom In/Out time – Apex Legends Season 10 Supply Drop rotation Here are the changes to supply drops in Apex Legends Season 10: In: M600 Spitfire, Alternator SMG – Out: Prowler Burst PDW – Hop-Up changes The Anvil Receiver and Quickdraw Holster are being vaulted for Apex Legends Season 10, making way for the new Boosted Loader. With this, reloading near empty (but not at 0) increases reload speed and overloads the next magazine with extra rounds. This hop up will be equipable to the Hemlok Burst AR and the Wingman. Fully Kitted rotation New season, new Fully Kitted rotation. Here are the changes: Added: Peacekeeper, Rampage, RE-45, Flatline, and Charge Rifle – Removed: Wingman, Bocek, R99, Hemlock, and Sentinel – Stock & Magazine attachment changes The reload speed increase associated with magazines has been moved to the equivalent stock rarity tier. As well as this, Marksman Weapons (30-30 Repeater, G7 Scout, Triple-Take) now take Sniper Stocks instead of Tactical Stocks. They will offer increased stability and sway reduction with slightly reduced handling bonuses. Arenas weapon changes As well as BR, there have been several changes to Arenas weapons. Care package changes apply to arenas, so the Prowler and Rampage replace the Alternator and Spitfire in the Arenas shop. Here’s the cost for each: Arenas price adjustments The following price adjustments have been made to Arenas weapons for Season 10: L-STAR Lvl 1: 100 -> 150 – Lvl 2: 200 -> 250 – Lvl 3: 300 -> 350 – 30-30 Repeater Lvl 1: 200 -> 150 – Bocek Bow Base: 600 -> 500 – Charge Rifle Base: 700 -> 600 – Lvl 1: 250 -> 200 – Lvl 2: 300 -> 200 – Lvl 3: 400 -> 450 – EVA-8 Base: 300 -> 350 – Mastiff Base: 400 -> 350 – Peacekeeper Base: 500 -> 350 –

  • Wattson’s ultimate still broken in Apex Legends despite buffs – Dexerto

Wattson’s ultimate still broken in Apex Legends despite buffs Respawn EntertainmentWattson received major improvements to her kit in Apex Legends’ Season 11 update, but it seems that the previous problem with her ult not blocking projectiles is back after the buffs. On Nov 2, TSM’s Apex Legends squad of Imperial Hal, Snipedown, and Reps took to the Firing Range to test out the new Wattson changes that arrived with Season 11. While in the session, Reps activated Wattson’s ultimate to see if it was properly blocking projectiles as the Escape patch notes claimed. After throwing a number of grenades to test the zapper’s new area of effect, the group moved on to experimenting with Caustic’s abilities and how they interact with the improved Pylon. Wattson ultimate is still bugged in Apex Legends The first issue came when Snipedown threw a gas grenade that went unblocked by Wattson’s Pylon. The grenade was slightly overthrown though, and on a second test, he landed one perfectly against the ultimate only to find that it still didn’t get zapped. The three pros were immediately disappointed with the results, and Hal believes that the changes to the anti-ordinance mechanics are not working as intended: “That’s got to be a bug, no way it’s not bugged. It used to stop it.” Shortly afterward, Snipedown attempted to throw a Caustic barrel in front of the trap only for it to be ignored as well. Stunned by yet another issue, he moved closer to the Pylon before placing a second barrel directly on top of it. After seeing that proximity didn’t change the outcome, the trio instantly gave up on the idea of adding the Static Defender to their rotation of legends. Hal was particularly crestfallen, making a grim prediction about the character’s future: “No one is going to play Wattson until they fix this.” Respawn has made good on its promise to get Season 11 off the ground without any server issues, but how they respond to other in-game problems like this remains to be seen.

  • Wattson’s Thunder Kitty skin is finally getting a recolor in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Wattson’s Thunder Kitty skin is finally getting a recolor in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends leak has revealed that Wattson’s iconic Thunder Kitty skin will finally be receiving a recolor, and it’s got fans excited. Arriving back in Season 2 of Apex Legends, Wattson may not have the highest pick rate in the Outlands, but she’s certainly one of the most popular personalities on the roster. Her unique playstyle is centered around her deadly fences that allow the Static Defender to lock down areas of the map, luring enemies into danger where she can eliminate them with ease. While her kit doesn’t appeal to every Apex player, her skins are some of the most sought-after in the game, especially her Thunder Kitty cosmetic from Season 12. Well, a leak has revealed that this iconic skin is finally getting a recolor, and it’s safe to say Wattson fans are excited. Thunder Kitty Wattson recolor leaked in Apex Legends Thanks to reliable dataminers KralRindo and HYPERMYST, a brand new Wattson recolor has been revealed and it’s for her iconic Thunder Kitty skin. The new design completely transforms the original skin with a neon punk theme, adding pink splashes to her outfit, light-up cat ear headphones, and even a little Nessie logo on the jacket. Unlike a lot of recolors, this one adds so many little details that Wattson mains will appreciate, and it’s guaranteed to be a popular cosmetic. As of yet, there’s no release date for the skin but as it’s been found in the files, we can assume it’ll arrive in the near future. This news certainly got a lot of fans excited, with one stating that “Apex found out how to get money out of me”, and another sharing that they think this recolor is “so much better than the original… thank you.” As showcased above, the leak also revealed another recolor for Wattson’s Cyber Punked skin, changing the original pink design to a fiery orange theme. With so many Wattson skins on the horizon, it’s certainly an exciting time to be a fan of the Static Defender. Let’s just hope these recolors are not kept in files for too long and arrive in-game sooner rather than later.

  • Wattson’s pylon in Apex Legends cancels insane amount of grenades – Dexerto

Wattson’s pylon in Apex Legends cancels insane amount of grenades Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Youtuber ‘BobSappAim’ gathered a group of players to push Wattson’s Interception Pylon to the limit. The massive group of players threw hundreds of grenades down onto the Legends’ ultimate ability to find out how many it could consume. [jwplayer OXyCJ7sp] Apex Legends Season 7 has arrived along with a wealth of new content for players to check out. Of course, as with any new season, the excitement around the game is at an all-time high and it’s usually around these periods that we see some insane clips, videos and plays from Apex players. Well, Apex Legends Youtuber BobSappAim certainly didn’t disappoint with his video that tested how many grenades Wattson’s pylons could consume, thanks to an in-game experiment he orchestrated with a lot of his viewers. Wattson’s Pylon consumes an unbelievable amount of grenades Wattson’s ultimate ability, Interception Pylon, consumes any grenades thrown by enemies in a large radius. Of course, this begs the question, how many grenades can it consume? In order to test this, BobSappAim positioned the large group of players on a high ledge on the Olympus map above the pylon. This made it easy for each of the players to rain down multiple grenades without any risk of missing. The YouTuber stood next to the pylon itself, and his POV allows us to see each of the grenades being consumed by Wattson’s ultimate. The mass of red throwables almost takes up the entire screen as they disappear above him. (Segment starts at 8:15) It’s fair to say the pylon passed the test, consuming the majority if not all of the grenades thrown down. Seeing all of this is action begs the question about whether Respawn ever tested something like this when developing and putting together Wattson. It’s hard to believe that her Interception Pylon is meant to withstand this level of onslaught. That said, it’s always great to see Apex players pushing each of the game’s Legends to their limits. Whether it’s an insane play from a talented player or an entertaining challenge like this, it’s all great content to watch.

  • Wattson’s new emote gives her a surprise buff in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Wattson’s new emote gives her a surprise buff in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentOne of Wattson’s new Legendary emotes is currently removing the pylon from her back in Apex Legends, reducing the size of her model. Season 12 of Apex Legends has arrived and the major update has introduced Mad Maggie to the Outlands, added the 9v9 Control mode, and even revamped the Olympus map. Despite all these exciting changes, Wattson was left untouched during the patch, with no buffs or nerfs to her kit in Defiance. However, an unintended interaction has been discovered by players when she uses her new Legendary emote in-game, and it seems to be giving the Static Defender a small buff when it’s activated. New emote bug reduces the size of Wattson’s model After using Wattson’s new Legendary emote in-game, Twitter user lilakeyLK realized that the animation had caused the pylon on her back to completely disappear. This reduction in the size of her model occurs for the entire game, effectively making Wattson smaller and more difficult to hit. While the size difference is incredibly minor, it is a slight buff and does give an advantage to anyone who uses the bug. Luckily, Lead Hard Surface Artist at Respawn Oscar Aguirre responded to the tweet extremely quickly and revealed that he’d alerted the dev team about the issue. Although this glitch is technically a buff to anyone that decides to use it in-game, it’s so minor that most players probably wouldn’t even notice the reduction on an enemy Wattson. However, with Respawn on the case, it’s likely the interaction will be removed very soon, so don’t expect the pylon to go missing from Wattson’s back after the fix has gone live.

  • Wattson’s invisible fence glitch is back in Apex Legends and confusing players – Dexerto

Wattson’s invisible fence glitch is back in Apex Legends and confusing players Respawn EntertainmentAn infamous Wattson glitch that makes her fences invisible has returned in Apex Legends Season 14 and it’s causing a lot of frustration. Despite her iconic status within the community, Wattson has maintained an extremely low pick rate over the years, with it currently sitting at 2% in Season 14. One of the main issues players have with the Static Defender are the multiple bugs and issues that have affected her Tactical. While Respawn has pushed out countless fixes to improve the fences, they still occasionally refuse to work in certain areas, a problem Wattson players are once again facing in Hunted. Despite this, an infamous glitch that actually unfairly helps the Static Defender has also returned, and it’s making her fences invisible. Infamous Wattson invisible fence glitch has returned As showcased by Reddit user IcySpinach, an overpowered bug is causing Wattson’s fences to become completely invisible. This glitch certainly isn’t new, as there are clips of the problem happening all the way back in 2020, but it was assumed that it had been fixed. Well, unfortunately, it’s back in Hunted and players have no idea what’s triggering the invisibility. In IcySpinach’s clip, a Rampart wall is sat in the doorway, leading a lot of users to believe that it’s the Amped Cover causing the bug. However, responses in the comments have claimed that they experienced the issue in Season 14 and there was no cover involved. If the Wattson is in the area, it’s nearly impossible to fight back once you’ve been damaged by the invisible fence. This makes the bug incredibly frustrating, as it’s pretty much a guaranteed kill for the Wattson who likely has no idea how they’ve triggered the glitch. Respawn needs to fix this problem as soon as possible, even if a lot of players are heralding the bug as the long-awaited “buff Wattson needed”.

  • Wattson’s Heirloom has special door animation in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Wattson’s Heirloom has special door animation in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a unique animation for Wattson’s Heirloom when the Static Defender breaks down doors. The recently released Raiders Collection event finally introduced Wattson’s Energy Reader Heirloom to the game. Although there was a lot of anticipation for the rare collectible after leaks revealed its base design, a lot of the community was disappointed with the final product, even labeling it as “ugly”. Now the Energy Reader has been in the game for a few days, it seems as if players are finally warming to the Heirloom after seeing its wide range of incredible animations. One of these interactions has only just been found, and it only triggers when Wattson breaks down a door with her melee attacks. Wattson Heirloom animation is impressing Apex players As showcased by AnuixYT on the Apex Legends subreddit, Wattson’s Heirloom has a special animation when breaking down doors and it certainly pushes the Energy Reader to its limits. When attempting to melee a door, Wattson grasps the Heirloom with both hands causing the end of the device to spin. This animation makes sparks fly everywhere and results in the door being smashed or pushed open. Although this may seem like a tiny detail, a lot of Wattson mains are incredibly impressed with this interaction as not all the Heirlooms in the game have a special animation when breaking doors. Alongside the giant Nessie and door animations, Wattson also has a chance of fumbling and nearly dropping the Energy Reader as well. This has been praised by the community as one of the most unique and cool interactions Respawn has ever put into the game. So, despite being widely criticized at release, the Energy Reader has redeemed itself in the eyes of the community after players got their hands on the collectible. With so many incredible interactions, Respawn has raised the bar for Heirlooms and got players on the edge of their seats for the next one to arrive.

  • Wattson trick is perfect for farming Apex Legends loot on Storm Point – Dexerto

Wattson trick is perfect for farming Apex Legends loot on Storm Point Respawn/EAWant to get your hands on the loot from Spiders and Prowler Nests without much fuss in Apex Legends? Well, Wattson is the perfect pick for you. Here’s why. With the start of Apex Legends Season 11: Escape, Respawn Entertainment introduced the battle royale’s fourth map in the form of Storm Point. The tropical-themed map is the biggest of Apex’s four locations to date and has plenty of unique features that set it apart from Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus. One of the biggest of which is the ability to get loot from the spiders and prowlers that inhabit Storm Point. The creatures won’t give up the goods without a fight, however, you can make things a lot easier for yourself as Wattson. While you can just rush in and pick a fight with both the spiders and prowlers, you may find yourself being overwhelmed either by them or by a team who decides to third party the action. Well, as some players have found, if you use Wattson and her Interception Pylon ultimate, the creatures will have a hard time doing much damage to you. In the case of farming loot from spiders, the Interception Pylon will prevent them from spitting their web at you, allowing you to gun them down with ease. As for the prowlers, well, the ultimate will grab their attention for a second, allowing you to deal some damage before they come your way. Though, it won’t completely nullify them as it does the spiders. Of course, the pylon will also slow down any enemy attacks that use grenades, so you can count on it as an extra piece of cover but make sure it’s placed in a chokehold for maximum effect.

  • Wattson skins are ruining Mirage’s revive in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Wattson skins are ruining Mirage’s revive in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have uncovered a strange new issue that prevents Mirage from instantly going invisible while reviving Wattson – leaving them out in the open. Since Apex Legends first launched back in February of 2019, Mirage has been a mainstay in matches – even though he hasn’t always been a top tier choice. The deceptive legend is a great choice if you want to mess with the enemies thanks to his decoy abilities. However, one ability that really sets him apart is Now You See Me, which allows Mirage and the legend he is reviving to become invisible for a few moments. Yet, there seems to be an issue with giving Mirage, in particular, a helping hand. The problem was pointed out by Reddit user Puedd, who showcased a video from their recent game where they had been playing as Wattson. As the Redditor’s teammate tried to revive them, they didn’t disappear from view as they’re supposed to. Instead, the pair flickered on the screen for a few moments before Mirage was finally able to hide in the shadows. While most of Wattson’s body also, eventually, went invisible, her head and shoulders could still be seen. The Redditor noted that this was probably an issue with the Wattson skin they were using, with only fans chiming in with similar experiences. One player, Night-Errant, noted that it is an issue with any epic or animated Wattson skin. Some others suggested that if you’re going to play as Wattson, as long as the problem persists, it is better to just stick to her base skin rather than use anything flashy. This way, you can fully disappear from sight alongside Mirage. Of course, with skins being a huge way for players to express themselves, it is a problem that Respawn will likely need to address in the future. As of writing, it hasn’t appeared on their Trello board of problems they’re looking into, so they might be aware of it just yet.

  • Wattson set for buff in Apex Legends Season 7 update – Dexerto

Wattson set for buff in Apex Legends Season 7 update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Wattson continues to struggle in the current meta, but an upcoming patch could see the Static Defender receive the buff she deserves. Apex Legends is home to a lot of colorful characters and each one of them offers unique abilities that drastically impact the game. However, there are a few Legends that sometimes fail to make a splash. Whether it’s down to their weaker abilities or extremely situational ultimates, it can be difficult to tell how well a character will do in the current meta. Respawn are constantly rolling out patches to ensure gameplay remains smooth, but sometimes certain characters can end up underperforming. One legend that continues to polarize the Apex Legends community is none other than Wattson, the Static Defender. This electrifying Legend was added to Respwan’s Battle Royale back in Season 2 and since then, she has struggled to compete against the game’s more popular picks. Fortunately, it looks like Respawn could be giving Wattson a helping hand in a future update. Possible Wattson buff Many Apex Legends fans have been wondering whether Wattson will ever see a buff in the future, but a recent developer update discussion has players hopeful. “Pretty much every character we released post-launch was either weak on release or underappreciated by the community at large,” says Respawn game designer, Daniel Zenon Klein. “I’m thinking Wattson here; she was always strong, but mostly played competitive only.” This certainly rings true for many of the game’s new additions. It’s often a coin flip between releasing a highly overpowered Legend that needs to receive a steady wave of nerfs or releasing a weaker Legend that requires a few buffs. It’s a job that often requires tremendous amounts of meticulous planning and fine-tuning to get right. Of course, it can be difficult to get this balance correct and some Legends need a little more attention than others. However, when asked whether Wattson would be receiving a buff the Respawn Designer stated “I can’t say anything because I don’t wanna spoil the patch notes, but let’s say I concur with your analysis that she’s particularly useful only in high skill and could do with a little more power low skill. One would have to find a way to give her targeted power…” The problem with Wattson While Wattson is often a strong pick in the highest brackets of pro play, she continues to prove ineffective in the casual scene. Unlike most Legends, Wattson’s Tactical (Perimeter Security) requires a lot of setup and forward-thinking in order to use it to its fullest potential. Not only this, but the ability also requires players to constantly lookout for opportunities where they can potentially trap their opponents. To make matters even worse, these shocking traps can often leave you exposed. Unless the enemy squad has to pass through that specific area, they’ll often bypass your traps entirely or effortlessly destroy them if you’ve not placed them in hard to reach areas. Wattson also requires decent squad communication and excels when her traps can be synergized with other abilities. For example, placing Caustic’s noxious traps and Gibraltor’s shield can make for an impenetrable defense. Of course, all these points have led to her being one of the most underused Legends in the current game. However, this could soon change. When is the Wattson update? While it certainly seems like Respawn is eager to address the current problems surrounding Wattson, they have yet to give an official release date. We will likely hear more from the dev team in the coming months. For now, it looks like fans of the Static Defender will need to wait patiently before she gets the update she deserves. Make sure you follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

  • Wattson players call for buff in Apex Legends to counter Seer – Dexerto

Wattson players call for buff in Apex Legends to counter Seer Respawn EntertainmentWattson players are calling for Respawn to buff the Static Defender’s Ultimate so she can counter the brand new Legend Seer. Season 10 of Apex Legends has finally arrived and there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the game, with big Warzone streamers even deciding to try out Respawn’s popular BR. Despite this, as always, not everyone in the Apex player base is satisfied with the current power level of their main Legend. This is especially true for Wattson mains, who have criticized how strong the new character Seer is at release compared to the Static Defender. In order to balance both Legends, a set of Apex players have come up with a solution that involves a buff to Wattson Ultimate ability. Wattson players call for Ultimate buff to counter Seer Ever since the Emergence update went live, players have been labeling Seer as overpowered and broken. Thanks to his heartbeat sensor and AOE detection Ultimate, the Ambush Master is always aware of the location of nearby enemies. Well, a set of players have created a thread on the Apex Legends subreddit, showcasing that Wattson’s Ultimate does not block or cancel any of Seer’s abilities. According to them, a buff to rectify this would make Wattson the perfect counter to the brand new Recon Legend and potentially boost her popularity in the meta. Considering Seer’s Ultimate is a throwable device, it’s certainly a possibility for Respawn to make a change to how it interacts with Wattson’s Interception Pylon. There’s been a lot of back and forth within the community recently over Wattson’s current power level and whether she even needs any changes. So, a small buff like this could be the perfect middle-ground in making the Static Defender a direct counter to the Ambush Master himself. We’ll have to see if any devs reply to the thread with any thoughts on the topic, but for now, it seems as if Wattson mains will have to settle with her current position in the meta.

  • Wattson finally gets her teeth back as Apex Legends ‘dentist’ reopens – Dexerto

Wattson finally gets her teeth back as Apex Legends ‘dentist’ reopens Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has finally fixed an issue plaguing one of Wattson’s best skins which strangely prevented her teeth from loading in properly. Apex Legends has tons of skins for its many different characters. While some skins reuse assets, many are unique to specific Legends. One Legend with some of the best skins in Apex Legends is Wattson, although one of her best skins has had a shader issue plaguing it for over a year now. Now, Respawn has finally fixed the issue with the static defender’s Legendary Outlands Explorer skin, which previously prevented her teeth from loading onto the model correctly. Wattson gets her teeth back Respawn quietly fixed this long-running issue with the Outlands Explorer skin in the latest 1.98 patch for the Awakening Collection Event. Before the patch, Wattson’s Outlands Explorer would simply have her lips without any teeth displayed whenever her mouth moved which certainly looked jarring during emotes and finishers. This issue cropped up in a patch back in June 2021 and has seemingly gone unnoticed until now. Alongside this Wattson shader bug, the 1.98 patch fixed various other cosmetic issues like a lack of sound effects when Newcastle entered a Trident and UI glitches in the Firing Range. SHE WENT TO THE DENTIST!!! i can finally sleep at night 😌🙏 her teeth had a shader issue for over a year and with the most recent patch, it’s finally fixed. woo! i can take it off of my wattson bug list… https://t.co/sFkG7n7KXG pic.twitter.com/bESFrQgSQ2— lila ⚡ (@lilakeyLK) June 29, 2022 It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time a bugged Apex Legend skin slipped through, with some even proving to be major hindrances to players. For example, many players dubbed the Legendary ‘Curse of the Amazon’ Charge Rifle skin “pay-to-lose” at launch thanks to a bug when aiming down sights. Similarly, Octane’s Legendary ‘Laughing Fool’ skin caused a screen-disrupting bug after it was brought back during a Black Friday sale event. Though nothing game-breaking occurred with the Outlands Explorer, it’s good to finally have the Wattson’s cheery, energetic smile back to the way it should be.

  • Wattson gets cozy in Apex Legends fan’s Nessie onesie skin – Dexerto

Wattson gets cozy in Apex Legends fan’s Nessie onesie skin Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer Fc1cVTGH]Nessie has been an easter egg across all three titles in the Titanfall universe—and now, artist ‘KenobiCat’ has invoked the character in full plush glory as a skin concept for Apex Legends’ Wattson. Everyone’s favorite Lochness Monster plushie, Nessie, has been one of Respawn Entertainment’s greatest not-so-hidden secrets. You can find the little buddy hanging out across King’s Canyon, but that’s not enough for Wattson, who may be a bigger fan than we first realized. Nessie is a bright green delight, with buttons for eyes and a zipper down the back. While Apex Legends’ Lochness Monster-esque creatures, the Levianthans, are gigantic, and the Nessie plush is little, Nessie Wattson is adorably somewhere in between. The skin concept features Wattson in a comfy looking green onesie, with a hood marked by Nessie’s little beady eyes, gloves with some reptilian energy, and a hilarious plushie-covered backpack that puts the “owo” in “showoff.” I finally drew this Wattson-Nessie skin which is inspired by @_moyparra ‘s recent animations! 😀 #apexlegends #Wattson pic.twitter.com/y3ko0zUY9k — xiphos (@CatKenobi) June 26, 2020 Sure, the skin may be a little too Fortnite for some Apex Legends fans to fancy—but some people were also bothered by Mirage’s incredible Heirloom being a silly, egotistical statuette. The real world is full of both serious and goofy things, so please don’t complain that this concept isn’t realistic enough when the game has actual stuffed toys chilling throughout the map. And at least it makes more sense than Rainbow Six Siege’s Mozzie pizza skin. That skin, while absolutely hilarious and magnificent, drew some controversy from the R6 community for not fitting their expectations for a legitimate combat experience; bhopefully that wasn’t enough to dissuade Respawn Entertainment from considering this concept. Respawn’s Principal Animator Moy Parra animated the original Nessie Wattson inspiration for a cartoon celebrating Apex Legends’ milestone of 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. In that video, they drew explicitly on the contrast between a light-hearted Wattson dressing as her favorite stuffed animal and the ever-serious Revenant with his relentless bloodlust. In KenobiCat’s iteration, the onesie is revamped and Wattson’s backpack is added with children’s alphabet blocks comprising the electric ‘wings,’ held up by two parallel Nessie plushies. The “uwu” alphabet blocks may be a little much, as are the chunky red and white sneakers that don’t seem to match the rest of the ensemble, but overall this is a very fun skin idea and one can only hope that Parra’s coworkers are giving it real consideration.

  • Wattson finally gets huge buffs in Apex Legends Season 11: Escape – Dexerto

Wattson finally gets huge buffs in Apex Legends Season 11: Escape Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Static Defender, Wattson, is getting a whole load of buffs coming into Escape, so here’s a breakdown of all her Season 11 changes. One of the Apex Games most adorable characters is the lovable Wattson, who bends electricity to her whim and looks good doing it. Luckily, fans of the defensive Legend will be jumping for joy coming into Season 11: Escape. Alongside new map Storm Point and the return of Titanfall 2’s Ash, the empress of all things electric is getting a series of buffs that are set to make her stronger than ever. So, here are all of the upcoming Wattson buffs coming into Apex Legends Season 11: Escape. Apex Legends Season 11 Wattson buffs While all of Wattson’s abilities have received a bit of TLC, some of the biggest buffs are to her Interception Pylon ultimate – but no, it’s not mobile now. The defensive shield now has a health bar, and therefore remains in-game until it is destroyed or another one is placed. Additionally, when inside her ultimate’s range, players’ shields will recharge at double the speed they used to. In terms of her iconic fences, nodes now recharge in 15 seconds instead of 30, and the damage per tick is 20 instead of 15. The distance between the pillars has also been increased by 15%, making them longer than ever before. Wattson buffs in Season 11: Improved the reliability and responsiveness of placing Wattson’s Tactical and Ultimate in-world objects. – Wattson can place her Tactical and Ultimate objects on valid surfaces above Wattson’s eye level (to a reasonable extent). – General hitbox size increase, to compensate for the removal of low profile in the Legacy update. – Tactical – Perimeter Defense Increased damage on crossing a Fence by 33%. (15 to 20) – Increased debuff duration on crossing a Fence by 100%. (1.5 to 3 seconds) – Increased the time allowance to be hit again by a subsequent Fence effect by 100%. (0.5 to 1 second). – Decreased recharge time by 50% (30 to 15 seconds). – Increased placement range by 50%. – Decreased the delay between Fences shutting off and reactivating after an ally passes through them by 60%. (1.0 -> 0.4 seconds) – Wattson now moves at Unarmed-speed while readying/placing Fence nodes. – Fence nodes can now be placed as soon as the weapon is readied, instead of waiting for the animation to finish. – Ultimate – Interception Pylon The Pylon output has been significantly reworked. Reduced the number of active Pylons Wattson can place from 3 to 1. – The Pylon now lasts forever (instead of timing out after 90 seconds). – The Pylon now has a pool of 250 Shields that can be distributed to nearby players, instead of effectively infinite Shields. – Increased the Pylon shield recharge rate by 150%, and smoothed regen rate. (2/second -> 5/second, or more accurately: 1/0.5 seconds -> 1/0.2 seconds) – When a Pylon is out of Shields, it no longer recharges players’ Shields, but can still zap incoming ordnance. – Taking damage while regenerating Shields via the Pylon delays continued regeneration by 1 second. – – The UI on the ground and HUD elements now displays the amount of Shields that remain in the Pylon. – Pinging a friendly Pylon will now display the percentage of Shields remaining in the Pylon. – Pylon ordnance-zapping has been moderately reworked. Ordnance is now zapped when the Pylon detects that it would hit any surface within range and line of sight of the Pylon, instead of being zapped as soon as it comes within range. – As a part of the changes, current issues where the Pylon doesn’t reliably zap ordnance (particularly concerning airstrike abilities, and ordnance that bounced off surfaces near the Pylon) should now be addressed. – – So that’s everything we know about Wattson coming into Apex Legends Season 11: Escape. • Wattson fences break in Apex Legends Season 14 despite “improvements” – Dexerto

Wattson fences break in Apex Legends Season 14 despite “improvements” Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has had issues with Wattson leading up to Season 14 and whilst the newest update was supposed to improve the character’s fence ability, it’s actually made it worse. Apex Legends Season 14 has made some positive changes such as a new Legend in Vantage and also the new Laser Sight attachment. Certain characters have gotten off relatively scott-free when it comes to technical issues impairing their abilities and ultimates in Apex Legends – but not all. Players are already reporting a few issues with the new season including a crazy new glitch that seems to give every Legend the wrong abilities, and now an old issue with Wattson resurfacing in a new way. Apex Legends Season 14 breaks Wattson fence ability Whatever people may think about some of Season 14’s changes, one thing that fans are not on the fence about it is the effect it’s had on Wattson. Previously, Wattson mains have had to cope with the Perimeter Security Tactical Ability not dealing the advertised damage to opposition players – nullifying one of the Legends’ weapons. But in Season 14, a glitch in which a player is not allowed to even put down the fence posts in the first place appears to have caused some unrest. In a sarcastic post on the Apex Legends Reddit forum, one user simply said: “Another great patch for Wattson.” In their video, you can clearly see the player demonstrating in the game’s Firing Range how they are unable to put down any fence posts. One frustrated user commented: “Wattson’s been dealing with this for a while anytime they change fences or Arc Stars they break sh*t. You can expect a fix maybe in Season 15, time to retire Wattson for 14.” Another user added: “Ohhh…from the patch notes – Improvements to Perimeter Security placement system. I understand what that means now. Break what was working before.” The launch of a new Apex Legends season can always be chaotic and potentially problematic, and you’d imagine that Respawn is working round the clock to try and patch any inconsistencies and irregularities in the gameplay. Season 14 has already solved several conundrums such as the infamous reloading issue.

  • Wattson bug nerfs her fences ability in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Wattson bug nerfs her fences ability in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered yet another issue with Wattson’s fences, with the powerful ability suffering a nerf as a result of the Season 12 problem. The arrival of Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance has been heralded by many fans of Respawn’s battle royale, especially for the introduction of Mad Maggie and the new Control LTM. On top of the big headline additions, Crypto finally got his long-awaited buff as the Security Expert is now able to use his drone’s abilities without having to pilot it. Though, there have also been nerfs to the all mighty Caustic, with his gas traps now being able to be destroyed after they’ve activated. Though, the new update has also brought about some unintended nerfs too, with both Loba and Wattson suffering issues with their abilities pretty unexpectedly, as Loba’s Black Market Boutique can no longer block doors. In the case of Wattson, it’s her Perimeter Security fences that are suffering from an issue, as they’re still stunning enemies but not to their full capacity. As Apex Legends streamer Texcalon demonstrated, players can still run through an active Wattson fence and be slowed by the damage, however, their camera movement speed is no longer affected during the stunned phase. That means that while they may be moving slightly slower as a result of the fence, you still aim as if nothing has really happened. Thus, you’re not really at a disadvantage in a gunfight. Another Wattson bug. When you get stunned by her fences your camera speed is no longer slowed. Before you weren’t able to move your camera now you can. pic.twitter.com/9erwysnguG — CCE Texcalon (@Texcalon) February 11, 2022 As plenty of players have chimed in with, that’s a pretty big knock on Wattson, who has had plenty of fence-related issues in recent seasons – even though Respawn have tried to iron them out. It remains to be seen if they’re aware of this issue, but once they are, hopefully, it won’t be too long before Wattson is back at her full power.

  • Wattson buff idea would give her the best Ultimate ability in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Wattson buff idea would give her the best Ultimate ability in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has developed a new Ultimate ability for Wattson with the aim to make her a top-tier meta pick. When it comes to balancing, there are very few characters that are spoken about more in Apex Legends than Wattson. After multiple seasons with no changes and a huge amount of backlash from the community, Respawn finally buffed the Static Defender in Season 11. Despite increasing the power of her Ultimate and Tactical ability, she still sits at a 2.1% pick rate, meaning she remains relatively unpopular. As a result, one player decided to develop and rework Wattson’s Ultimate with the aim to make her one of the best Legends in the game, and it’s safe to say they succeeded. Wattson buff concept gives her a mobile trophy system The power of Wattson’s kit is a commonly discussed topic within the Apex community, with a lot of players believing that she’s extremely underpowered. So, to help bring Wattson into the meta and make her a top-tier pick, modder and designer Archtux decided to rework her Ultimate. Instead of keeping her Interception Pylon stationary, they decided to make it a mobile trophy system, effectively making Wattson immune to throwables and projectile abilities. While there’s no denying this would be incredibly overpowered, Archtux thinks it would be enough to make her one of the best Legends in the game. As you can see, the new Ultimate makes it easy for Wattson to navigate a Gibraltar Ultimate or multiple grenades. However, the immunity to all disruption for her and her squad would make it impossible to slow down a push or counter an aggressive play, so it’s unlikely this would ever make it into the game. Despite being insanely OP, Archtux’s idea at least proves there are ways to make Wattson the best Legend on the roster, but it might not be the best change for the health of Apex as a whole.

  • Wattson accidentally nerfed in Apex Legends update ruining her ultimate – Dexerto

Wattson accidentally nerfed in Apex Legends update ruining her ultimate Respawn EntertainmentWattson was accidentally nerfed in the Evolution Collection Event update, ruining her ultimate by not actually blocking throwables in a certain radius. Thankfully, the developers are aware and so should be working on a fix. The Season 10 Evolution Collection event started on September 14, bringing with it a number of changes including a Rampart Town Takeover, weapon changes, an Octane nerf and a Rampart buff. One change that wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes, however, was a Wattson nerf, and her interception pylon ultimate ability now looks very bugged. This definitely looks like an accident, and is sure to be a huge thorn in the side of Wattson mains until it is patched and fixed. Accidental Wattson nerf? While players started to test out the new features and changes in the Evolution Collection Event, some Wattson players realized that something was slightly off, despite no mention of a nerf. As shown in the clip below, Wattson’s pylon ult isn’t destroying grenades properly as it is supposed to. “It does not block ordinance within the inner radius a majority of the time,” said Lila on Twitter. The player also confirmed that this bug is happening not just in the Firing Range but in both Arenas and the classic Battle Royale too. ‼️it is NOT just a firing range bug, this is how it now behaves in arenas and BR‼️ this is a massive issue and needs to be fixed ASAP. i would even argue it’s worse than the fence bug from last season. 💭 @rspn_pav pic.twitter.com/Q2VaOAygem— lila ⚡ (@lilakeyLK) September 15, 2021 Lila added in another tweet that an issue with the pylon destroying friendly grenades had been fixed, so it does raise the question of whether fixing this bug caused even more issues. Apex Legends dev responds This didn’t look to be an intended change, and that seemed to be confirmed when Respawn dev support Pav responded the bug report. While not much information was offered, Pav did say they would send the clips off to the team to look into, so this issue may be fixed before it becomes too much of a problem. It’s unclear yet when that possible fix could happen, but Respawn will no doubt be working at it as soon as possible.

  • Was the R-301 secretly buffed in Apex Legends? Side-by-side comparison shows difference – Dexerto

Was the R-301 secretly buffed in Apex Legends? Side-by-side comparison shows difference Respawn EntertainmentFollowing the recent patch, a lot of Apex Legends players are convinced that the R-301 feels stronger, but did the weapon actually receive a secret buff? Every major patch in Apex Legends brings new content to the game, but they also provide balancing changes to the game’s wide variety of weapons. The Evolution Collection Event was no different, with the Bocek Bow, Hemlok, and L-STAR all receiving changes. Despite this, after testing out the R-301 after the patch, Apex players were convinced that the gun’s fire rate had been buffed, and Respawn had accidentally missed it off the list. So, did the weapon receive a secret buff, or is there something else that can explain why R-301’s fire rate feels different? Has the R301’s fire rate been buffed in Apex Legends? After widespread speculation that the R-301 had received a secret buff, Twitter user Mav1cHavoc decided to take the matter into their own hands and solve the mystery for good. Heading into Apex, they created a side-by-side comparison of the R-301 firing before and after the update. They then slowed the clips down and synced them together to find out whether the gun was shooting any faster than before. As showcased by the post below, Mav1cHavoc revealed that there had not been a secret buff to the R-301, meaning the gun did not get stronger following the patch. Of course, this still begs the question, why does the gun feel different to a lot of players? https://twitter.com/Mav1cHavoc/status/1438352450466033664 Well, it appears that the devs have made changes to the R-301, but only when it comes to its audio. Before the patch, the R-301’s gunfire audio sounded slightly out of sync with the bullets, so Respawn decided to amend the issue. This likely explains why so many players assumed the gun’s fire rate had been increased following the patch. So, although the R-301 won’t be moving any higher up the tier list, the changes to the audio certainly make the gun feel more impactful.

  • Was a new pistol teased in Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer? – Dexerto

Was a new pistol teased in Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer? Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer officially revealed the next character in the battle royale, but people are wondering if Respawn also gave a sneak peek into a new weapon along with Loba. In her quest for revenge, the master thief can be seen with a few items that she holds dear, such as her teleporting bracelet, her silver, wolf-headed staff and what looks like a completely different pistol from anything seen before. It’s this gun that’s making players wonder if the devs will debut the weapon sometime in Season 5, whether as a standalone weapon in the game’s arsenal or a new cosmetic for an established pistol. “I think Loba is holding a new pistol at the end of the trailer,” user ‘AndhereKatil’ said of the trailer. They are only one of many in the community who are wondering if the gun will be incorporated in the upcoming season. Though the limited screenshots of the weapon don’t paint a clear picture of the entire gun, what can be seen isn’t related to the RE45, P2020, or Wingman. The evidence is intriguing, but far and away inconclusive, especially since Respawn have given some guns wildly different aesthetics to their base models in the past. Another theory is that the gun could be a re-imagining of the Smart Pistol MK5 from the Titanfall universe. It’s entirely possible that Respawn would give Loba some gear inspired from the larger TF lore, as some suspect is the case with her teleporter. However, Redditor ‘borisalien’ broke down the stills from the launch trailer and likened the weapon to the Hammond P2011 from Titanfall – but says it’s most likely just an upcoming skin for the P2020. “I’m not saying it’s the P2011, I’m saying it’s the P2020 with a different skin,” borisalien said. “I’ve included the P2011 for AESTHETIC reasons to help my case, since people use the recoil spring retention cap to say, ‘Oh, it’s the camera for the Smart Pistol.’ And other differences like the rear sight and also – lack of a ‘meat tenderizer,’ which became a part of the gun series’ design since Titanfall 2. I’m not saying it’ll be added as a separate, new gun, that’s absurd.” In either case, Respawn are known at this point for stacking every season with fun new items with every chapter and it won’t be long now before Season 5 starts on Tuesday, May 12, when all of the community’s questions will be answered.

  • Warzone streamers already dominating in Apex Legends: Nickmercs, CouRage, more – Dexerto

Warzone streamers already dominating in Apex Legends: Nickmercs, CouRage, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends competitive scene is seeing incredible numbers, as more Warzone favorites drop into Respawn’s futuristic shooter. Apex Legends isn’t backing down when it comes to competition. Enjoying a new wave of players following Warzone’s controversial hacking epidemic, the Respawn-developed shooter is truly booming. Community favorites such as TimTheTatMan and NICKMERCS made the jump over too, retrofitting their talents in a fresh landscape. Ranked play isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a festival of blood, sweat, and tears. After sweating it out in Ranked play, many are now starting to see the rewards. In spite of their talent, there have been some bumps in the road along the way. Masters in the making NICKMERCS might be young in the Apex Legends pantheon, but his FPS skills aren’t wasted here. Reaping the benefits of increased Twitch figures too, the switch to the futuristic battle royale has ultimately paid off in spades. Squad member TimTheTatMan is seeing the same meteoric rise too, but possibly for the wrong reasons. Known to have more of a comedic role in his squad, his continued blunders are still admirable to enjoy. Enough is enough it seems, as NICKMERCS has taken it upon himself to chase the coveted Masters rank himself. Since a rocky stream on August 9, the streamer hasn’t teamed up in the Outlands with Tim. Opting to chase his grand prize with cloakzy and 72hrs, the highly sought-after title is now his to display. Playing through to 5 AM and running off the high of victory, NICKMERCS simply said: “Well, holy sh*t”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1Lndg-6b9Y Taking matters to next level, CouRage has climbed up the rank of Apex Predator. Achieving this impressive title is a mean feat, respected by the Apex community. Calling out his doubters via Twitter, CouRage wasn’t mincing words when it came to outlying his fight to the top. On the back of criticisms that he may have been carried for his teammates, NICKMERCS was quick to add some spice to the mixture. “Still low key carried tho I love you,” the FaZe streamer said in response. Apex. Fucking. Predator. To the thousands of people who have tweeted me I got carried and that I’m not good enough to get Predator, you’re all trash. Spend more time getting better at the game instead of chirpin’ Solo/Duo queue ONLY to Predator. GG! pic.twitter.com/dkk5Y2eyzL — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 19, 2021 CouRage was equally as fast to dismiss any notions of his skill not making the cut. Hitting back with a breakdown of his methods of success, overall CouRage was happy to be sharing the arena with many talented players. Nah, I learned from them last season. Got thrown right into the mix of Predator lobbies. Helped me learn much faster, solo queue from D2 to Masters then solo duo Masters to Predator! Agree to disagree, my brother. We’re all going to be thriving in Predator soon. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 19, 2021 The ultimate marathon While these Warzone pros are translating well into Apex Legends, they’ve still got some pretty stiff competition. Joining them in the Apex hall of fame, Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ defied sleep and hunger in a gargantuan 54-hour stream. Taking himself to the ranks of Apex Predator in an insane effort with a few quick breaks, viewers were astonished by Timmy’s determination and focus to set himself apart from his rivals. Diamond took up the majority of his stream, eating away at 48 hours of his time. The slog was definitely worth it in the end. Season 10 of Apex Legends is underway, with new Legends and rewards to seek out. It’s only a matter of time before more creators join the big leagues.

  • Warzone player baffled by Apex Legends hate after finally switching – Dexerto

Warzone player baffled by Apex Legends hate after finally switching Longtime Warzone players have been left baffled by the hate that Apex Legends has gotten over the years as they’ve finally made the switch after growing tired of the CoD battle royale. The battle royale market has always had a few challengers for the throne. For the longest time, Fortnite had sole possession over it, but the likes of PUBG, Warzone, and Apex Legends have had their moments too. Nowadays, most players split their time between Fortnite, Warzone, and Apex Legends, however, some of them are still very territorial about their favorite game. They don’t want to play a rival title or even give it praise. Well, in the case of some Warzone players, they’ve been switching over to Apex Legends as they’ve gotten a little annoyed by the Call of Duty offering, and they wish they would have made the switch sooner. Longtime Warzone fan switches to Apex Legends but can’t understand community hate It was something pointed out by Redditor zjames9809 after they made the leap from Warzone to Apex, but was left confused by how much criticism Apex players actually give to Respawn’s game. “I can say now I will never play Warzone or tbh any other video game again because of just how damn good and fun Apex is,” they said before questioning the criticism. “There’s always more negative stuff on Reddit because the people that are happy with the game are playing the game and not posting on Reddit,” answered one player. “I came from Warzone also during Warzone 1 around the Caldera switch and I can’t really play Warzone anymore. It feels bad. I have gripes with Apex but it’s by far the best BR around right now IMO,” another added. Other longtime Apex players noted that the game does have some “garbage” aspects that need addressing, but things are still bright. “It’s probably the best FPS shooter and although certain aspects of the game are garbage right now the devs deserve credit where it’s due when the game is so amazing at its core,” one added.

[jwplayer VEi3mnK7] Ever since it released, Apex Legends has had a fanbase of players who have been showing their creative skills off in plenty of different ways. We’ve seen ridiculous cosplays of pretty much every character on the battle royale’s roster, some pretty impressive fan art, and even fully-fledged animated trailers, all made by fans. However, just when it seems like players have reached their creative peak, some have done something completely different altogether – taking a piece of Apex Legends into the world of virtual reality. Reddit user RoadtoVR_Ben showed off their impressive new project, where their team had taken a picture-perfect replica of the Wingman and put it into a VR project. Now, if you’re expecting a VR battle royale, we haven’t reached that level just yet sadly. Instead, this viral clip has Apex’s powerful pistol instead of a shooting range. The Wingman looks absolutely spot-on, the shots sound great, and the reload animation is even nice to see as well. Plus, with this being VR, you can shoot the Wingman from the side like you’re trying to curve the bullets – just as some players have wanted to see in Apex. Even though it’s just a personal project, and isn’t going to be released as a demo or anything like that, it still earned plenty of praise from players and even some Repsawn developers. “This is so awesome,” said Jason McCord, Design Director at Respawn. • Viral Crypto rework idea has Apex Legends fans demanding Respawn take notice – Dexerto

Viral Crypto rework idea has Apex Legends fans demanding Respawn take notice Respawn/EAA viral Crypto rework idea has got Apex Legends fans salivating as it could be exactly what the surveillance expert needs, and some want Respawn to take notice. When Crypto was introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 3, many fans assumed that he would immediately take over the meta and become the new top-tier legend that everyone plays. That, however, wasn’t the case. The legend has his fans but he’s slipped down the popularity and usage charts in the last few seasons. As a result, fans have demanded that Respawn get to work on a pretty significant buff, pitching plenty of ideas of their own in the meantime. Yet, it’s the newest idea that has players excited and hoping that Respawn implement it. The incredibly detailed pitch comes from Redditor idiroon who suggests that Crypto’s trusty drone could have auto-use modes that could be set. These would allow players to send his drone up and have it follow instead of just hovering. Additionally, they also suggest that when manually using the drone, Crypto should be able to go off the grid. This would mean that the surveillance expert doesn’t appear on different scans when operating the drone. That might inspire thoughts of Call of Duty’s Ghost perk, which does seem pretty perfect for a character whose lore is based on being a hacker and working in the shadows. It didn’t take long for some fans to suggest that this is the sort of change that Respawn should be making to Crypto. “This is literally perfect, the automodes offer different ways to use your drone while not giving it any extra power,” said one player. “Respawn, I think you have a position open for lead balance designer if I’m not mistaken…?” added another. Of course, Respawn have stated previously that they can’t out and outtake fan ideas for content as it could land them in hot water for a number of different reasons. Regardless, fans will tell you Crypto desperately needs a big rework and this fits the bill.

This includes artwork, gameplay, clips, and of course, memes. It can be difficult to improve on an already established meme, but it’s certainly possible if you successfully recreate it using in-game assets. That’s exactly what one Apex player has done with a hilarious “call an ambulance” meme video using Legends from the game. Original meme For those who have never seen the meme before, LucasIsHere has posted it to YouTube so you can check it out. Basically, a guy tries to rob an old man’s possessions, and the tables soon turn. Apex Legends player recreates viral meme Now, following on from that, an Apex player has posted a recreation of the hilarious moment to the Apex Legends subreddit. The post has over 2,000 upvotes at the time of writing and has gone down a treat with the game’s community. The video has been created using a software called Source Filmmaker and made in a stop-motion style. The choice of Legends is perfect and the scene taking place next to an iconic Apex supply bin is brilliant. Finally, the addition of the DOOM music at the end is just the cherry on top for this recreation. The meme is certainly popular with the Reddit users in the thread with one stating, “thanks for making my day.” Another user commented on CivilianSnips’ choice of music: “Nothing gets me going like the Doom soundtrack I swear.” It’s great to see content like this being made by the Apex community, and shows there’s a lot of passion for the title and it keeps the game’s subreddit fresh. It will be interesting to see if any other memes are recreated using Apex Legends assets, because there’s something hilarious about seeing the in-game characters act out viral memes.

Since the release of Storm Point on November 2, Apex players have been exploring the tropical map inside out. In their search, the community has discovered invisible rooms, top-tier hiding locations, and even a set of instant death spots. However, despite being live for nearly a month, inquisitive players are still finding secret mechanics and locations across the map, with one of the most exciting discoveries being found recently. Hidden from view in the North Pad POI, a secret supply bin has been found, but only one Legend is capable of accessing the loot inside. Hidden Apex Legends supply bin found on Storm Point Apex Legends TikTok creator RossBobSquirrel has found a “secret” supply bin on the Storm Point map at the North Pad POI. Located inside a yellow oil canister, the bin is completely hidden from view and can only be pinged by players when they stand directly behind the tanker. While the supply bin is impossible to open normally, it is accessible to loot with the Translocating Thief, Loba. Simply set up your Black Market next to the yellow tanker and you’ll have an extra supply bin for you and your squad to access. As Loba, you’ll even be able to use your Passive to see if there’s any top-tier loot up for grabs before using your Ultimate. Although it’s unlikely the devs intended for a supply bin to be placed in this location, it’s well worth checking out if you ever land at the North Pad POI. Some players have even speculated that the bin has been placed there ready for an explosive update in the future, similar to Fuse’s arrival on Kings Canyon. However, this probably isn’t the case and it’s likely just a mistake from the devs which has accidentally created an interesting easter egg for the community.

  • Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how Valkyrie can abuse obvious camping spots – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how Valkyrie can abuse obvious camping spots Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends TikTok is going viral after seeing how easy it is to abuse obvious camping spots with Valkyrie to take teams by surprise. Respawn Entertainment’s Season 9 Legend is unique in her ability to fly and take vantage points no other legend can readily access. Though the fuel for her VTOL Jets is limited, they give ample opportunity to ambush opponents. TikTok user ‘vcartervkk’ showed how Valkyrie can abuse some of the tallest objects in the game. Not only can she avoid most fights this way, but she can also take entire squads by surprise at a whim. Vcartervkk can be seen hopping between Kings Canyon treetops, utilizing the biggest landmarks on the battlefield to go over people’s sightlines. This worked a bit too well in the video seeing as they made it without their duo to one of the last rings in the game. At this point in the game, players are scanning every piece of the environment since there’s limited space to operate in. Even still, Valkyrie was able to completely sidestep any danger from her position. As other teams worried about what they could see in front of them, Vcartervkk was calmly out of sight raining down grenades for heavy damage. Apex players interested in using the trick could run into some problems. The most obvious danger is getting spotted since you’re rather defenseless standing on a tree. Furthermore, if the zone pushes Valkyrie off her perch, then make sure to plan for the next step. That could mean anything from having another treetop to abuse or dropping the ruse and going in guns blazing. As the video shows, if Valkyrie loses her footing then it can land her in a lot of trouble. While your mileage may vary in Apex Legends, there’s plenty of people you can pick off as Valkyrie with this strat.

  • Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how to make Charge Rifle silent – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how to make Charge Rifle silent Respawn Entertainment/TikTokA TikTok went viral that showed players a neat trick on how the Charge Rifle’s shot in Apex Legends can be silenced. Apex Legends Season 11 has officially begun and it brings players a new map in Storm Point as well as plenty of general changes and quality of life updates. While players have begun digging into the new content, a TikTok has made the rounds showing players how to gain an advantage on their opponents by utilizing a move with the Charge Rifle. Apex Legends TikTok goes viral The clip originally comes from YouTuber TheGamingMerchant, who shows players a nifty trick with the Charge Rifle that helps players avoid detection while firing. The clip was reposted on TikTok, where it quickly went viral. Read more: Apex Legends Season 11 Escape details – The Charge Rifle, if swapped for another weapon right after firing, will make less sound and not fire the beam it typically would. This trick can help players not be spotted by enemies at a distance and can gauge their shields from afar. This maneuver doesn’t remove sound entirely from the equation, however, as there is still a slight sound that rings while shooting. While enemies could technically hear the shots, the sound is far less noticeable than if you didn’t switch to your side arm just after firing, making the move still a valuable one. And if the enemy is far, they’ll never hear it. The Charge Rifle TikTok has gone viral, racking up over 2.4 million views since it was released, which helped popularize the weapon-swapping trick. With Apex Legends Season 11 having just been released, players have been looking for every advantage on their opponents they can get, and the Charge Rifle trick is surely one that can get the job done.

  • Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how much faster “punch boosting” is – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how much faster “punch boosting” is Respawn EntertainmentA viral Apex Legends TikTok has showcased how effective the “punch boosting” movement mechanic is compared to normal sliding. While sliding, sprinting, and jumping are the only movements used by the majority of the Apex Legends community, some players prefer to use more advanced mechanics. These include techniques such as tap-strafing, wall-bouncing, and more recently, the newly discovered punch-boosting. This trick involves using melee attacks to increase the momentum of a backward slide down a slope, allowing you to reach unbelievable speeds and outpace your opponents. Despite this, some players are still unsure whether it’s worth using this trick in their matches, so one TikToker decided to show how effective punch boosting really is. How effective is “punch boosting” in Apex Legends? After reading a comment that said punch boosting was the same as the standard slide, v1perapex decided to conduct an experiment with a teammate to show how effective the mechanic truly is. Starting at the top of one of Storm Point’s biggest slopes, v1perapex began to punch boost down to the bottom, while their teammate just did the standard slide. To no surprise, v1perapex traveled down the slope nearly twice as fast as their squadmate, showing exactly why this technique is worth learning, especially if you’re chasing or fleeing from a set of enemies. https://www.tiktok.com/@v1perapex/video/7041310584385572102?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1&lang=en&q=apexlegends&t=1640769149529 Unlike tap-strafing or wall bouncing, punch boosting is a relatively easy trick to learn and won’t require too much practice to master. With the mechanic garnering a lot of attention at the moment, it might be worth learning the technique in the Firing Range. It may not be something you use constantly in your matches, but having it in your locker could be the difference between a win and a loss.

  • Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows exploit for crazy long Pathfinder ziplines – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows exploit for crazy long Pathfinder ziplines Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends TikTok has gone viral showcasing how to perform a Pathfinder Ultimate exploit that doubles the Forward Scout’s zipline length. With every character in Apex Legends having a unique set of abilities, players are desperate to learn everything there is to know about their main Legend. Whether it’s Seer, Gibraltar, Bloodhound, or any of the other Legends on the roster, the community is always discovering new mechanics, strategies, and sometimes even exploits to use in-game. It’s these newly discovered tricks that really grab the attention of the Apex community, and that’s exactly what happened with a viral TikTok showing off an exploit involving Pathfinder’s Ultimate. Despite being a relatively simple trick, it allows the Forward Scout to double the length of his zipline. TikTok shows off Pathfinder Ultimate exploit in Apex Legends While the majority of players looking to master Pathfinder focus on his grappling hook Tactical, a viral TikTok has showcased a new mechanic or exploit involving his Ultimate ability. Although his zipline appears to be relatively straightforward at a glance, rossbobsquirrel discovered that it’s possible to double the length of it by following a few simple steps. The content creator begins by aiming the Pathfinder Ultimate at a location of his choice, then canceling it to disable the indicator. He then runs to a spot further away that still has the original location in his sightline After activating the Ultimate once again and aiming it in the air above the first location, it’s possible to place it down, but this time at nearly double the length of the original zipline. If the TikTok video doesn’t load below, click here. While this technique is certainly not an intended mechanic and is therefore considered an exploit, it’s hard to know whether Respawn will think it’s necessary to fix it. Any player that wants to perform the trick has to run backward making the technique a poor rotation tool, but it’s certainly fun to fly on a 200m long zipline. With other bugs present in-game that are affecting player’s gameplay, it’s unlikely the devs will be making this exploit their main focus.

  • Viral Apex Legends TikTok exposes best rat spots on World’s Edge – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends TikTok exposes best rat spots on World’s Edge Respawn EntertainmentA viral Apex Legends TikTok put a spotlight on multiple ‘rat spot’ locations where mobile characters can avoid danger to get the jump on enemies. Among the maps in Apex Legends, World’s Edge gives players plenty of room to bamboozle their opponents or make game-saving rotations to stay alive. The Talos arena also holds plenty of sneaky spots to avoid action altogether or camp in to wait for the opportune moment to strike. While some of these ‘rat spots’ are known for bordering on being unfair, it’s best to be aware of where they are in case players use them against you during a match. Viral Apex Legends rat spots Mobile Apex characters like Valkyrie, Octane, and Pathfinder, among others, will have the best chance at getting into some of these hiding places. Take the banners at Staging, for example. TikTokker ‘rossbobsquirrel’ showed how a well-maneuvered Valkyrie player can perfectly nest her behind the banners which rarely get checked. Then there are the crevices throughout the canyons outside of tunnels near the Harvester. A few of these spots give squads plenty of space to simply sit out a ring or two. Using ‘rat spots’ generally tends to split Apex players. While it’s frowned upon to hide in battle royales, players are quick to point out that it’s a viable option in the genre that can even lend itself to late-game strategies. But some rat spots can get called out when only a handful of Legends can readily access them, giving them an unintended advantage over other characters. While Respawn Entertainment tend to clear up these hiding places when they crop up, players can get a lot of mileage from them till they’re patched out.

  • Viral Apex Legends movement tech clip has the community split – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends movement tech clip has the community split Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends movement tech has gone viral on social media, leaving the community split on its in-game potential. Apex Legends is a battle royale game known not only for its large roster of playable Legends but also for its fast and fluid movement system. Since the game’s release in 2019, the way players utilize Apex Legends’s movement has evolved leaps and bounds from where it started — with some fans even thinking movement tech has gone too far. Now, the community is once again talking about the battle royale’s movement tech after a social media clip that showed one player’s absurd new tech went viral. Apex Legends movement tech clip goes viral The clip in question comes from a Twitter user named Riru, who originally posted the video on August 10, 2023. The video gained traction on August 29, 2023, after pro player HisWattson quote-retweeted the clip with the caption, “Hello???” The video in question shows a Japanese player strafing wildly around opponents while bunny-hopping, making it virtually impossible for enemies to track the erratic movements. Riru explained that “this new movement is a technique in which the movement does not decelerate,” and eventually posted footage of themselves with a key input display to show how they performed the tech. Community reaction to the insane movement tech has not been overly positive, with many accusing the OP of cheating. “Cheating,” one user simply replied, while another said, “No one respects configs. No one is calling it this.” Some players claimed that those taking advantage of aim assist won’t have to worry about opponents learning this movement tech. “Sh*t like this is why aim assist is OP,” said one player, while another said, “Nice strafe brother I bet my aim assist still tracks it.” Nice strafe brother I bet my aim assist still tracks it #yikes — her loss/take care (@OVO_shooter) August 30, 2023 While not every reaction to the clip was negative, with some players asking for more details on how to perform the maneuver, it’s unclear whether or not this tech is viable or will have legs in actual play.

  • Viral Apex Legends clip shows man becoming the jumpmaster in real life – Dexerto

Viral Apex Legends clip shows man becoming the jumpmaster in real life Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has some of the most creative fans in gaming, but this player has stepped it up a notch by literally becoming the jumpmaster — and the clip has gone viral. Apex players love showing off their creativity using the game as their inspiration. We’ve seen incredible artwork, 3D printed weapons and jaw-dropping cosplays over the years since the game first launched. Now, one Apex Legends fan has gone a step further by recreating one of the most dangerous features of the game, and bringing it to real life. In a now-viral clip, one player literally becomes the jumpmaster, complete with the Apex Predator dive trail and all. On March 25, Muffin posted a clip to Twitter simply saying: “When u are the jumpmaster.” In the video, a man standing on the edge of a cliff attaches a flare to his foot and sets it off, kicking off a trail of smoke and red sparks. Then, he jumps off the edge of the cliff and spreads his webbed wings, floating through the sky as the Apex Legends music plays in the background, truly feeling like a real-life recreation of the game. With his Apex Predator dive trail following, this is perhaps one of the most surreal Apex-inspired videos you’ll see. At least, it’ll likely be the most dangerous. https://twitter.com/muffin_youtube/status/1375008873568952323 The video was originally uploaded to YouTube by CookieThenSodas, and has around 1,300 views at the time of writing. However, the tweet has amassed over 8,000 total retweets and almost 30,000 likes, with players genuinely amazed at the video. Of course, we wouldn’t advise anybody try to recreate this unless they’re well-trained and know exactly what they’re doing. It goes without saying that this is very dangerous.

  • Verhulst slams ImperialHal and claims he made playing Apex on TSM “miserable” – Dexerto

Verhulst slams ImperialHal and claims he made playing Apex on TSM “miserable” Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSEvan ‘Verhulst’ Verhulst slammed Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen on a livestream, saying playing with him on TSM’s Apex Legends team and even in ranked games was “miserable.” Verhulst joined ImperialHal on TSM in December 2021 and placed top 10 across five different ALGS LAN events with the team. The two have won multiple North American pro league titles and claimed the top spot at the 2023 ALGS Championship and 2023 Split 1 Playoffs before Hal left TSM on May 13, 2024. But while they seemed to be on good terms even with Hal joining Team Falcons, Verhulst revealed what it was like playing with one of the best players in Apex Legends esports during a June 6 livestream. “Playing with Hal somedays was miserable, it was miserable. That’s what sucked. It was hard,” he said answering questions from his Twitch chat. The TSM player explained that ImperialHal would often get angry while playing the game and say things he did not mean in an emotional state. Verhulst said it got to the point where he and TSM’s third member Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe would avoid grinding ranked with Hal. The 21-year-old pro then recounted a time when Hal needled him constantly about a mistake at the 2023 World Championship. “Hal kept bringing that mistake up, brought it up like 20 times and he kept bugging me about it. I told him to stop… Like I get I made a mistake… He was acting in person like he does online. I literally told him I would punch him in the face if he didn’t shut up. Then he’s quiet the rest of LAN… And then we win Champs,” Verhulst said. He did go on to say that Hal’s intensity is the reason he’s been able to win so much. He also applauded the player for his consistent form, and willingness to grind Apex Legends as much as he does. ImperialHal has not been shy about his toxic tendencies and has admitted to being hard on his teammates. Fans can also see how intense the player gets in matches via his POV streams during NA pro league matches. The Team Falcons player shot back at Verhulst on his stream the same day, saying his former teammate is just saying these things for clicks and views. He said he and Verhulst have tried to talk about the friction in their in-game relationship before but his former teammate would brush him off. “All this sh** that he said on stream, we’ve talked about as a team. This was a thing before. So now, all of a sudden, he wants to talk about it on stream as if Twitch chat is going to help him or something,” ImperialHal said. Hal explained that he knows he is hard to play with, but that it was also hard to play with his former TSM teammates when they stopped trying in ranked or slacked off in pro matches. “Them two wanted to have fun, f*** around, take a hike, and have a picnic. Hold hands-type sh**. And I just wanted to not see the lobby every f***ing game,” Hal said. The Team Falcons player said at the end of the day, no one was forcing Verhulst to stay on the team, and ultimately he walked away from TSM to pursue other opportunities.

  • Vantage mains celebrate new animation following Apex Legends update – Dexerto

Vantage mains celebrate new animation following Apex Legends update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Beast of Prey Collection event update introduced brand new animations, including one for Vantage which fans are loving. The Apex Legends Beast of Prey update added a lot of new content to the game, including the new Gun Run LTM. Alongside the new LTM and cosmetic items, developer Respawn added new animations to healing items like Medkits and Shield Batteries. However, Respawn also added a new animation for the Recon Legend Vantage, and Vantage mains are loving the new flair given to the character. Apex Legends update gives Vantage new animation As shown by a clip on the Apex Legends subreddit, Vantage has a brand new animation when scanning beacons. The animation shows Vantage accessing the beacon’s data panel like normal, but as she looks up to see the beacon extend, her bat Echo is seen riding one of the prongs. It’s a cute animation that incorporates one of the most unique aspects of both Vantage’s character and her in-game kit: the relationship she has with Echo. Echo is vital to Vantage’s tactical ability, which allows her to send out Echo to help her relocate to different points by jumping to it. The new animation didn’t go unnoticed by Vantage mains, who sounded off in the thread praising Respawn for the new animation. “It’s little things like this that I love.” said user gamecity360. Another user commented how much they love Echo’s personality, comparing it to a common housecat. “Echo’s like a kitty with wings. Always follows you around and ends up in the most unusual places, while looking dead at you as they sit. Also, he’s cute as f*ck.” Interestingly, a lot of these new animations flew under the radar following the Beast of Prey update, the event patch notes did not mention anything about new animations. As such, there could still be brand new animations that fans have yet to discover. For now, though, Vantage mains are just happy to see their new favorite character get some attention from Respawn.

  • Valve’s Gabe Newell wants to play Apex Legends for future game inspiration – Dexerto

Valve’s Gabe Newell wants to play Apex Legends for future game inspiration Valve Twitch / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is in the backlog of Valve co-founder Gabe Newell, popularly known as Gaben, as the game industry legend thinks he can get a ton of inspiration from the unique battle royale. Counter-Strike, Dota, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, and many more. Gaben not only gave life to the most popular digital games marketplace, but also created some of the most beloved titles in their respective genres. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Hall of Famer has had a major influence in the world of games, and he might have just identified where his next dose of game development inspiration will be coming from. “The one game that I really want to start playing, I have no excuse, but I want to play Apex Legends,” Newell told New Zealand’s 1 NEWS. That’s one title in his games backlog that he’s really been itching to play, saying that a “bunch of people at Valve” have been grinding away in the Arena. But always more than a gamer, Newell is keen to dive into Respawn’s battle royale since he thinks it’ll have plenty for him to learn about as he plays. “I think I’ll enjoy playing [Apex Legends], which is always good, but I also think there’s things I’ll learn as a videogame developer from playing it,” he said. Newell mentioned that games from prolific designers like Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto are always fun, but they also seem to give insights in the craft. The Valve boss said that he’s been trying to court more traveling companions onto Dota 2, but can’t wait to join the hordes at Valve who are entrenched in the Apex Games. Overall, Newell’s comments are immense praise to the people at Respawn, who recently brought Apex to the Steam marketplace. A bunch of Respawn personnel also reacted to Newell’s comments with as much glee as you might expect. “Dear Gaben if you’re out there, you bearded god: If you and your squad wanna play a few games with Respawn’s design leads and directors, hit us up! We’re big fans,” Director of Community and Communications Ryan K. Rigney said. Even more interesting is to see what Newell could do with the inspiration he gets from Apex Legends. Valve has industry-leading titles across the FPS and MOBA genres, so it’ll be interesting to see how much he takes from Respawn’s battle royale.

  • Valkyrie’s jetpacks broken in Apex Legends after latest update – Dexerto

Valkyrie’s jetpacks broken in Apex Legends after latest update Respawn EntertainmentThe recent Apex Legends update appears to have broken Valkyrie’s jetpacks, making it impossible for the Winged Avenger to fly due to a Replicator glitch. In the last few seasons, Valkyrie has established herself as a meta pick who offers a huge amount of power to any squad, and her 10% pick rate certainly reflects that. With an Ultimate that can reposition an entire team, disruption from her rockets, and the ability to scan beacons as a Recon legend, it’s easy to see why she’s such a popular legend in competitive play and Ranked. Despite this, the recent 1.99 patch that arrived on June 30 seems to have introduced some issues for the Winged Avenger. A new frustrating glitch is completely disabling her jetpacks, effectively making it impossible for Valkyrie to use her Passive. Frustrating glitch is disabling Valkyrie’s jetpacks Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, user jarambejuice has showcased a serious bug affecting Valkyrie’s Passive that seems to have popped up following the 1.99 patch. While playing a match on World’s Edge, jarambejuice decided to craft a few items using the Replicator, but after using the device Valkyrie’s jetpacks had been disabled. No matter what they tried, the ability refused to activate or work, grounding the Winged Avenger and making it extremely difficult to compete in gunfights. If that wasn’t bad enough, the Replicator glitch also disabled their inventory which prevented them from healing or switching up their attachments. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be an isolated event or rare bug as countless players in the comments of the thread have revealed that they’ve experienced the same issue. One player recommended re-entering the Replicator and exiting it again, as that solved the problem for them, so make sure to give that a try if you’re struggling with this glitch. “Yeah temporary fix in-game is to get into and exit a replicator, if I cant find one I just restart my game,” they wrote. As it completely disables Valkyrie’s Passive, this is a bug Respawn will need to address as soon as possible or the Winged Avenger’s pick rate may take a hit.

  • Valkyrie Ultimate exploit teleports players across the map in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Valkyrie Ultimate exploit teleports players across the map in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA Valkyrie exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that allows her to rewind time and teleport across the map using her Ultimate. Since her release all the way back in Season 9, Valkyrie has become an extremely popular Legend in the community thanks to her incredibly fun kit and links to Titanfall. Equipped with a huge amount of mobility, rotation options, and of course, disruption from her Tactical, she’s a force to reckoned with in the right players’ hands. Despite this, the Winged Avenger has had her fair share of bugs and glitches over the past few seasons, often relating to her Ultimate. Well, another exploit has been discovered that’s caused by her Skyward Dive and it’s allowing players to rewind time and teleport across the map. Valkyrie exploit allows her to rewind time in Apex Legends Discovered by Dergus and showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, a new Valkyrie exploit has been found that allows the Winged Avenger to teleport across the map. The exploit makes it possible for players to take off with Valk’s Ultimate Skyward Dive and then as soon as they’ve landed on the ground at a new location, teleport back to where they originally activated the ability. While this glitch doesn’t give players a huge advantage, it does make it possible to scout out areas for opponents and escape enemy squads that attempt to follow the path of the Ultimate. Keep in mind that using this exploit in a match may result in your account being suspended, as Respawn has ramped up their efforts to ban players who abuse glitches. It’s safe to say this exploit is extremely situational, so it’s likely a fix for the bug will not be a priority for Respawn, especially with Season 13 on the horizon. Despite this, the ability to rewind time may result in some squads missing out on kills if the glitch is used in certain scenarios, so hopefully, the devs can patch this out as soon as possible.

  • Valkyrie stealth nerfed in Apex Legends Season 13 with new map restrictions – Dexerto

Valkyrie stealth nerfed in Apex Legends Season 13 with new map restrictions Respawn EntertainmentValkyrie has been stealth nerfed in Apex Legends Season 13 by a map change that prevents her from using her jets Passive in “out of bounds” areas. Over the last few seasons, Valkyrie has skyrocketed in popularity and established herself as a meta character in Apex Legends. With the ability to rotate an entire squad, cause AoE disruption with her rockets, and pilot an incredible amount of mobility from her Passive, she’s extremely powerful in the right player’s hands. As a result, a lot of the community was counting on a nerf to the Winger Avenger in the Season 13 update, but Respawn decided to make no direct changes to her kit. Instead, they’ve made adjustments to “out of bounds” locations on every single map, stealth nerfing Valk’s ability to fly into areas that were not intended to be reachable. Valkyrie stealth nerfed in Apex Legends Season 13 While the entirety of Valkyrie’s kit is strong, it’s her VTOL Jets Passive that’s the primary source of her power, as it offers an unrivaled amount of mobility in a gunfight. Not only that, in Season 12, it allowed players to reach overpowered rat spots in out-of-bounds areas, and hover outside the map for extended amounts of time. Well, Respawn has decided that these techniques are unfair and has made major changes to out-of-bounds areas, indirectly nerfing Valk in Saviors. When in out-of-bounds areas in Season 13, players will no longer be able to use, Legend abilities, weapons, consumables, or any active Passives like Valk’s jets. Overall, these changes have been received positively by the community, with countless players describing it as the “perfect” nerf to the Winged Avenger without touching her kit: “It’s literally the perfect nerf to Valk without actually nerfing her”. Some players even think this adjustment will have a positive impact on the ALGS, where Valk was often used in the final ring to buy as much time as possible in out of bound areas: “This will def make ALGS final ring fights more interesting… can’t just rat in the air as Valk anymore on a cliff.” Either way, it’ll be interesting to see whether these changes will be enough to balance Valk and make her less of an “oppressive” Legend in Season 13, or whether Respawn will have to nerf her directly later in Saviors.

  • Valkyrie soars into Apex Legends meta after Season 10 ranked swap – Dexerto

Valkyrie soars into Apex Legends meta after Season 10 ranked swap Respawn EntertainmentValkyrie is soaring into the upper echelons of Apex Legends ranked midway through Season 10, and has been storming into the ALGS meta as an Octane replacement to boot, off the back of her top-tier rotational Ultimate ability and her versatile combat mobility. Keep your eyes fixed on the skies, Legends. Why? Well, now, midway through Apex Legends Season 10, there’s no telling when a Valkyrie — flanked by her two teammates — is going to come screaming in. The Winged Avenger has surged into the battle royale’s ranked meta in recent weeks, climbing to a 5.8% pick rate behind favorites Lifeline and Pathfinder. Her arrival marks a major shift away from other fast-moving Legends in favor of using Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive to reposition ahead of critical fights. According to ApexLegendsStatus, Valkyrie is the only Apex Legend with any meaningful trend upwards in her play rates (up 7.4% this week) since Season 10 ranked playlists moved back to Kings Canyon in the split refresh. That is, of course, disregarding Bloodhound’s monster 39.99% boost, which is mainly due to the Technological Tracker’s “Old Ways, New Blood” missions. Apex Legends pros follow suit Apex Legends ranked queues aren’t the only place Valkyrie is shining either. Since ALGS returned, pros have been swapping in the Titanfall 2 pilot over Octane. This shift has been most prevalent in North America. The newly-restarted Pro League has, so far, been chock-full of Valkyrie compositions, masterminded by pacesetting TSM. European champions SCARZ have made similar team swaps, while Kungarna won an NA title with Valkyrie-Gibraltar-Caustic. The BFC Weekly Series and ALGS Preseason Qualifiers have followed the same trends; four of the top five — TSM included — ditched Octane for Valkyrie. What makes Valkyrie a great pick? Valkyrie has had no buffs or real changes since midway through Season 9, all the way back in May, but that hasn’t stopped her spiking in popularity over these past few weeks. The main reason is her flexibility when it comes to map-wide rotations. Apex Legends is such a position-focused game; high ground is king, flanking opponents can win your battles, and ‘lucking out’ with the final circle swings the game. Valkyrie removes many of these rotational concerns for players. The Winged Avenger acts in a similar way to Wraith, Octane, or Pathfinder. Her ultimate allows her to shift squadmates into better positions. Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive is even better than those other abilities too, simply for how far-ranging it can be — activate the ultimate and you could soar halfway across the Kings Canyon map in a moment. This hyper-aggressive rotational ability means teams can run fewer mobile characters like Caustic, Gibraltar, or Loba, who offer other powers in combat or when looting, and don’t need to be rushing across the battlefield. On top of that, Valkyrie can scan Recon Beacons, meaning she can replace both Pathfinder and Bloodhound in that regard. Everyone loves a two-for-one! Now Dexerto isn’t expecting anything crazy like a new “Valkyrie meta” to spawn halfway through Season 10. Don’t worry if you aren’t too crash-hot with the Titanfall pilot; Season 9’s debutant is still hovering around 5.8% play rate, way behind top dogs Octane (14.6%) and Wraith (10.9%). That said, expect to see more Skyward Dives as Apex Legends players shift the Winged Avenger into their plans — Kairi Imahara is certainly on the rise.

  • Gundam-esque Valkyrie Prestige skin coming to Apex Legends in Neon Network Collection Event – Dexerto

Gundam-esque Valkyrie Prestige skin coming to Apex Legends in Neon Network Collection Event Respawn EntertainmentThe next legend in Apex set to get a prestige skin is in fact Valkyrie, who is skipping a few places ahead of the queue and getting a mythic skin in the Neon Network Collection Event. Prestige skins in Apex Legends, although controversial when released, are now a regular part of the event cadence. Just like heirlooms, these skins are unlocked during collection events, or for heirloom shards after the event. So far, we’ve had prestige skins for Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Wraith, with Valkyrie up next. This skin was initially leaked with some loose details, but it’s since been officially announced by Respawn as part of the Neon Network Collection Event. Here’s what we know so far about the Valkyrie prestige skin, what it will look like, and when it will release. Valkyrie Prestige Skin in Apex Legends According to typically reliable Apex Legends leaker ThordanSmash, who cited an ‘insider source’, Valkyrie’s Prestige Skin was set to release as part of a collection event in Season 17. At the time it was leaked, we didn’t have many details about the skin other than it possibly being inspired by Gundam. Now that the skin’s trailer has been released, that inspiration is plain to see. This is the second Collection Event during Apex Legends Season 17, with the first containing Horizon’s Heirloom. For those willing to unlock every skin in the collection, they’ll get their hands on Valkyrie’s Prestige Skin: Apex Interceptor. Prestige Skins all have different ‘levels’ which can be earned through completing challenges with the character. There are three total levels in the Valkyrie skin just like the others that evolve it, with players being able to swap back and forth between each tier of the skin as they unlock them. Valkyrie’s skin sees her gaining more armor and a full helmet as it evolves, ultimately turning her into a slick, Gundam-esque combatant. She already has an heirloom too, so the most dedicated Valkyrie mains will be able to rock a full set when the event launches on July 25, 2023. Additionally, the trailer for this event has a small teaser that may be related to the Kill Code trailer that was recently released. • Valkyrie is now the most popular pick in Apex Legends by overtaking Wraith & Octane – Dexerto

Valkyrie is now the most popular pick in Apex Legends by overtaking Wraith & Octane Respawn EntertainmentValkyrie has become the most popular character in Apex Legends for the first time since her release back in Season 9. While Valkyrie has always been a fan-favorite character thanks to her Titanfall roots, it’s only in the last few seasons that she’s skyrocketed to the top of the meta. With an Ultimate that can reposition an entire squad, the Recon Passive for scanning beacons, and unmatched mobility with her jetpack, it’s easy to see why the Winged Avenger is such a powerful pick. Despite this, Octane and Wraith have remained steadfast at the top of the pick rates for multiple seasons, only ever stealing the crown off each other. Well, that was until yesterday, when Valkyrie dethroned both of them to become the most popular Legend in the game in Season 13. Valkyrie is the most popular character in Apex Legends For countless seasons, Octane and Wraith have dominated in terms of pick rate but now finally a new character has taken the crown, and that’s Valkyrie. According to Apex Legends Status, the Winged Avenger has a 10.8% pick rate, beating Octane’s 10.6% and Wraith’s 10.5%. Her popularity was also showcased at the pro level in the ALGS Championship that recently concluded, where Valkyrie had a staggering 98% pick rate, meaning she was a part of nearly every squad in the tournament. Although her place at the top has been a long time coming, Apex Legends Status highlighted that it may have been the ALGS event that tipped the scale and pushed her pick rate up enough to hit number one. It’ll be interesting to see whether Valkyrie can fend off Octane and Wraith and keep her spot at the top, but with Season 14 on the horizon, her overwhelming popularity may be short-lived. The devs have already confirmed that “drastic” meta changes are on the way and these are almost guaranteed to involve Valkyrie nerfs. However, as Respawn hasn’t shared any details on their upcoming changes, it’s just a case of waiting for the major update to arrive in August.

  • Valkyrie Heirloom in Apex Legends revealed: New Suzaku spear – Dexerto

Valkyrie Heirloom in Apex Legends revealed: New Suzaku spear Respawn EntertainmentValkyrie has finally got her spear: the new Suzaku heirloom is coming to Apex Legends in the Awakening Collection event, and it’s one of the flashiest heirlooms we’ve seen yet. Much to the disappointment of Loba mains everywhere, Valkyrie is skipping the queue and getting her heirloom first. Of course, this heirloom has been leaked numerous times already, so it may come as little surprise to see the final product for some, but at least we have the official reveal now to put any rumors to rest. As expected, Valkyrie is getting a speak – true to the lore of mythic Valkyries. It will arrive in the Awakening Collection event, which also brings a Lifeline Town Takeover and the return of the Control LTM. As with previous collection events, you have a couple of options of how to get the heirloom, although none are cheap. Either ‘complete’ the collection by unlocking all 24 cosmetics in the event, or wait until the event is over to get it from the Mythic shop. The heirloom, named Suzaku, has a number of impressive animations, including one where Valkyrie literally eats a bowl of noodles. This was all actually leaked before the official reveal of the heirloom, so there’s a good chance that many Apex fans knew this was coming. You can check out the full preview of the heirloom here: For Loba mains, the wait for her heirloom goes on – surely it will be next season, right? There are also now Mythic skins, such as Bloodhound’s, and leaks point to Banglore being next to get hers, maybe sometime in Season 13. For now, Valkyrie, who is the most popular post-launch Legend in Apex, by pick rate, will be blessed with her exclusive melee item first. The Awakening Collection event starts on June 21, and will run for two weeks.

  • Valkyrie Heirloom has amazing rare and special animations for Titanfall and more – Dexerto

Valkyrie Heirloom has amazing rare and special animations for Titanfall and more Respawn EntertainmentValkyrie’s Suzaku spear Heirloom has countless special animations in Apex Legends, with one even including a direct reference to Titanfall. Apex Legends’ Awakening Collection event arrived on June 21 and it’s shaken up the loot pool, introduced new cosmetics, and added Lifeline’s Town Takeover. Despite all of these exciting additions, Valkyrie’s Suzaku spear Heirloom is getting most of the attention and it’s easy to see why. The spear follows on from Crypto’s Biwon Blade, with Respawn putting a tremendous amount of effort into every single animation. With countless special and rare interactions, it’s without a doubt the most impressive Heirloom so far in Apex Legends and even includes an amazing Titanfall reference. All of Valkyrie’s special animations in Apex Legends While the melee hits on an Heirloom are what users will be seeing most of the time, it’s the rare and special interactions that really capture the attention of the community. One of the most impressive animations for Valk’s mythic cosmetic includes a ramen bowl, and although it’s not rare, it’s definitely unique. Valk Heirloom With Ramen. I hate you all. pic.twitter.com/lKFwyXcCdn — Thordan Smash (@Thordansmash) June 14, 2022 Next is a rarer interaction showcased by Apex YouTuber Grrt and is only possible to perform by pulling out the Suzaku while sprinting. According to Grrt, it took him over 20 minutes to pull off the interaction that involves Valk throwing a Predator calling card into the air. If you have seen it before, you can check it out below: Finally, Also Gaming Merchant has presented what is perhaps the most impressive animation as it contains a direct reference to Valk’s dad, Viper, from the Titanfall series. Crouching and then using the inspect function will cause Valk to pull out her dad’s helmet and say: “Sorry, dad, I’m looking out for a new legacy now, mine”. Overall, Respawn has done an incredible job with Valkyrie’s Suzaku Heirloom and continues to raise the bar with each new collection event. The question is, which lucky Legend will be next on the list to receive a mythic tier cosmetic?

  • Valkyrie Heirloom concept gives her Titanfall-inspired weapon in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Valkyrie Heirloom concept gives her Titanfall-inspired weapon in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends Valkyrie Heirloom concept has given the Winged Avenger a Titanfall-inspired weapon and it’s getting a lot of praise from the community. Every season, Respawn releases a brand new Heirloom alongside a limited-time collection event. Although this is usually a weapon, the most recent addition was the Prestige Bloodhound skin, which came with special animations and recolors. Despite this, it’s expected that the devs will resume the normal rollout of rare melee collectibles from the next collection event, with rumors indicating that Crypto is next on the list. However, as Heirlooms are Legend specific, the community is always coming up with unique ideas and concepts of their own. That’s exactly what Apex Legends YouTuber Bobz has done for the Winged Avenger, creating Valkyrie a Titanfall-inspired weapon. Valkyrie Heirloom concept equips her with Ronin Sword Relating the Heirloom concept to Valkyrie’s Titanfall roots, bobz has created a mini Ronin Blade for her to equip while flying through the Outlands and firing down rockets on her enemies. The short black blade is covered in pilot-style markings and would be the perfect one-handed weapon for the Winged Avenger. It’s worth noting that from a lore perspective, Valk’s dad had a Northstar Titan, not a Ronin, so some players may argue that the sword doesn’t fit her theme. But aside from that, the appearance of the blade is incredible and definitely shows that Respawn needs to tie Valk’s Heirloom to Titanfall in some way when she’s next on the list. It’ll be interesting to see if Respawn decides to create Valk her very own Heirloom in the near future as the Winged Avenger is extremely popular in the current meta. With a 6.4% pick rate, she’s currently sitting as the fifth most popular Legend in the entire game, so it’s safe to say a lot of players are holding out hope that she’ll be getting a collection event soon. Either way, bobz idea may not fit with Valk’s lore completely, but there’s no denying it’s an impressive concept.

  • Valkyrie exploit in Apex Legends breaks her tactical to shoot at the same time – Dexerto

Valkyrie exploit in Apex Legends breaks her tactical to shoot at the same time Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered an exploit with Valkyrie that allows her to use her rockets and shoot a gun at the same time, but it could land them in hot water. Just like many other battle royale titles, Apex Legends has had its fair share of bugs and exploits over the years. Whenever a new legend is released, or a map is tweaked, it doesn’t take long for players to uncover an advantage that might be viewed unfairly by others. Some of these issues are quickly rectified by Respawn Entertainment, but some have lingered around, causing headaches for players across a number of seasons. Well, players have stumbled upon a new glitch that gives Valkyrie three arms, allowing her to shoot off her rocket barrage ability and shoot whatever gun she has equipped all at once. The problem was highlighted by Apex Legends YouTuber BobRossSquirrel, who noted that it only takes a quick few button presses to make things happen. If a player times everything right, they’ll bypass the animation that proceeds Valkyrie getting ready to launch her rockets and will be on ground level. From there, they can aim down sight on their gun, shoot, and reload – all while having the rockets ready to go. If that wasn’t enough, Valk is also able to run at her normal speed while having the barrage of rockets set for launch, meaning she can run around, pop the rockets, and shoot without needing to go up into the sky. As the YouTuber notes, using it in-game is likely to get players banned, given how it is rather game-breaking and gives Valk a huge advantage in fights should everything be timed perfectly. Obviously, if it becomes a big issue, Respawn will likely root it out before long but it remains to be seen just how widespread it might become.

  • Valkyrie can glitch into massive cave system under Kings Canyon in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Valkyrie can glitch into massive cave system under Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players may have found the ultimate rat spot hidden under Kings Canyon, as Valk is able to access a “massive cave system” to get anywhere she wants. There are plenty of different playstyles to take when you want to win in Apex Legends. You can be the ultra-aggressive kill leaders who take on all comers, the slow playing edge of the zone gatekeepers, or you can use rat spots. Rat spots, which can sometimes only be accessed by specific legends, have always been a hot topic with players given how powerful some of them can be. In the past, Respawn have even had to alter parts of the map to ensure that players can’t get into them. And, they may have to do it again as there is a “massive cave system” under Kings Canyon that only Valkyrie can access – but she can get to any part of the map she wants while using it. The spot was uncovered by YouTuber Dirty Skirty, who claimed that it took about two hours of searching to uncover, as well as a whole load of testing. As with some other spots, the game tries to force the player out of it using the push barrier mechanic. However, Valkyrie’s jets make it possible for her to clear the pushback and get around. The cave system starts all the way on the Swamps side of the map, but as the YouTuber shows, it can be navigated using her jets. Though, the screen will start to look pretty funky at points, and you’ll likely get banned for exploring the spot, seeing as it is ultra-powerful. Some fellow Apex players were left baffled by the find, questioning just how players manage to stumble upon it – as well as wondering how Respawn hasn’t patched it up yet. If it does become a problem, though, it won’t be long before the devs tackle the issue.

  • Valkyrie bug in Apex Legends gives her infinite rockets with no cooldown – Dexerto

Valkyrie bug in Apex Legends gives her infinite rockets with no cooldown Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are still finding strange bugs involving Valkyrie, but this time, the new findings could give her a big advantage over her enemies. Since the Apex Legends Season 9 update hit live servers, there have been several strange character bugs cropping up. From game-breaking Wraith exploits to frustrating bugs that ruin Revenant’s ultimate, the weird glitches seem to keep flowing in. While Valkyrie may be the latest Legends to join Respawn’s ever-popular battle royale, the Winged Avenger has certainly had her fair share of issues. Respawn recently fixed a frustrating bug with Valkyrie’s ultimate, which caused players to be pushed under the map. Fast forward a few weeks and it seems the high-flying Legend now has another bug that will need addressing. However, unlike her glitchy ultimate, this new bug could give Valkyrie a decent advantage during early-game firefights. Valkyrie infinite rocket exploit Posting on the official Apex Legends subreddit, Redditor DippinDoughnutz showcased a strange exploit that enabled Valkyrie to fire out infinite rockets. While Missile Swarm usually has a 30-second cooldown, the player showed a technique that enabled the Legend to completely bypass this. While the bug only enabled Valkyrie to fire out one rocket, the never-ending barrage could be incredibly potent in early-game firefights when players are scrambling for loot. DippinDoughnutz also managed to keep his Peacekeeper out during the animation, but it is unclear whether you can use any primary weapons during the animation. Despite showcasing the infinite rocket glitch in the game’s training mode, the player did note that this exploit can also be replicated in regular battle royale modes. Of course, this definitely comes with risks of getting banned for exploiting, so it’s best to avoid using this method completely. If that wasn’t bad enough, DippinDoughnutz also found that the bug enables players to constantly stay suspended in the air. This means Valkyrie can continuously barrage her foes from above and provide intel to her squadmates. Respawn has yet to make an official statement, but it’s hoped they will fix this issue soon before it becomes a much bigger problem.

  • Valkyrie bug actually makes her a Support character in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Valkyrie bug actually makes her a Support character in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA powerful Valkyrie bug involving her Skyward Dive Ultimate is turning the Winged Avenger into a Support in Apex Legends. Over the past few seasons, Valkyrie has risen up to become one of the strongest characters on the Apex Legends roster, maintaining an impressive 9.9% pick rate. Her ability to rotate an entire squad of danger, disrupt fights with her rockets, and use her jetpack to reach power positions makes her a formidable force in the Outlands. Not only that, as a Recon character, she can also scan beacons to identify the location of the next ring, making it easy to stay ahead of the competition in terms of positioning. Well, if that wasn’t enough, a strange bug is transforming the Winged Avenger into a Support as well, allowing her to carry downed teammates to safety with her Ultimate. Valkyrie bug allows downed teammates to use her Ultimate Posted to the Apex Legends Reddit on June 22, user sicko-mod has showcased a powerful bug involving Valkyrie’s Ultimate that allows her to carry downed teammates out of danger. While attempting to escape a set of enemies, sicko-mod and their teammate launched into the sky using Valk’s Ultimate. Unfortunately, the opposing squad spotted them and managed to down sicko’s teammate mid-animation. Usually, this would result in the downed player detaching from the Ultimate and falling to the ground, but a strange bug simply allowed sicko to fly down to safety and revive them with ease. A lot of players in the thread were convinced she had received a “silent buff”, but according to the comments, this glitch is fairly common with her Skyward Dive. While this isn’t a game-breaking bug, it was likely very frustrating for the opposing team who managed to land a lot of accurate shots to secure a kill. With how powerful Valkyrie already is in the current meta, issues like this only make her stronger so it’ll be interesting to see whether the devs will prioritize a fix in the near future.

  • Useful Apex Legends tip gives console players new way to communicate – Dexerto

Useful Apex Legends tip gives console players new way to communicate Apex Legends players on console have found a brand new way to communicate, which makes it much easier to share information, especially if you are unable to use a headset to talk with your teammates. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title allows teams of three to drop into Kings Canyon, with hopes of working together to secure a victory and be crowned Apex Champions. With the game relying on the team based communication to help propel you to glory, Apex Legends includes proximity voice chat and a sophisticated ping system to help share information with ease. Now, console players have found another method which could be crucial to finding wins, especially when teaming with strangers. Apex Legends console players can send voice messages When you’re playing with strangers and don’t have a microphone available to use, communicating can be tricky. Players can run into difficulties, especially when trying to figure out where to land, or if you want your squad to rotate to a new location to search for loot or players. However, Reddit user DerSiliberneDrache has found a way to send messages in the game, which will then be relayed to the recipients in audio form, making it possible for players to talk and strategize with their fellow Legends. Xbox One gamers can press and hold the ‘View’ button to the left of the Xbox logo on the controller, while PS4 users can press and hold the touchpad, with a keyboard eventually appearing on the screen through which a message can be sent. 400When the message is sent, the words are actually played to the recipient through their headset or speakers, with a robot voice relaying the information to the other players who need to hear what you have to say. Granted, this tool might not particularly useful in a stressful moments – like when players surround you – as you need to type out your message. This could be too time consuming if you come under fire. It will be perfect for discussions around rotations and landing options, although expect many to abuse the tool for comedic purposes as well.

  • Use Octane’s Stim in Apex Legends for surprising movement buff – Dexerto

Use Octane’s Stim in Apex Legends for surprising movement buff Apex Legends players have been refining their mechanics with every character in the game, which is still revealing new ways to use abilities like Octane’s Stim. YouTuber ‘The Gaming Merchant’ has been on a rigorous mend to find all of the hidden intricacies with every Legends’ ability kits. While some are widely-known and already a part of most players tool sets, he came across some real juicy info that could redefine how people approach the Adrenaline Junkie. Respawn launched their ambitious battle royale on February 4, and since then players have been finding some of the strangest, most effective ways for utilizing a given Apex Games competitor. Octane is a priority target to kill because of his play-making ability, but he has some evasive maneuvers to keep him alive. In this regard, the YouTuber shined the light on Octane’s Tactical Ability which most players know to give “30% faster (movement) for six seconds” at the cost of his own health. “Many people think that Octane’s (Stim pack) just gives him more forward sprint speed but that’s not how it works at all,” The Gaming Merchant said. “In fact, all it does is add a boost to your velocity in all directions. Or actions you do, whether it’s crouching, walking, sprinting, or strafing side to side will be boosted.” This gives players a daring yet dynamic defensive option to use the Stim, since according to the YouTuber “Octane’s Stim can be a great too to use whilst in fight, pop it once and do long strafes side to side to be difficult to hit.” Octane is harder to hit when stimmed up. Though it’s a risky way to use the life-draining ability, if an Octane finds themselves pushing a squad or trying to retreat, then injecting a Stim could give an oddly compelling way to avoid enemy fire. Octane actually gets a steady amount of residual action speed as well, and the YouTuber highlighted it since there are “gameplay and movement mechanics that become a core part of each Legends’ kit, without people even realizing.” Even though its a fairly simple nugget of information to process, The Gaming Merchant says its just another example of “tips (that) think outside of the box a little bit and are very hard to master.”

  • How to use Apex Legends weapon scope markings to perfect your aim – Dexerto

How to use Apex Legends weapon scope markings to perfect your aim Apex Legends is a battle royale game where every team is hoping to be the last squad standing. So, hitting your shots is vital if you’re going to pick up a victory. Like many other battle royale titles, Respawn Entertainment’s game comes with a whole host of weapon scopes that can be attached to your guns to make sure you can pick off enemies from distance. This can be difficult, especially if you don’t understand what the markings on the sniper scopes mean when you’re trying to shoot an enemy. Thankfully, though, the developer has added a feature to the game that they think is ‘an industry first,’ which could help you find your target – if executed correctly. How does the feature work? There are ranging marks which will accurately track the elevation of the enemy that you’re aiming at, which can be used very much to your advantage in a long-range clash with another player. This means that if you aim at an enemy on top of a hill using a sniper scope, then move down and aim at somebody who is 100 meters below them, the ranging marks will automatically move to give you the best possible chance of hitting your opponent. If you can line up the shot with the different bars – or markers – on the scope, there’s always a chance that you could judge the bullet drop just right. How to use weapon scope markings For those who missed it, Senior Game Designer at Respawn Entertainment Sean Slayback explained how the feature worked by posting some details to his Twitter account on February 7. “The ranging marks on every fullscreen (sniper) optic will always be accurate for the rifle you’re using,” he tweeted. “Watch the mil dots reshuffle in realtime as you aim far up or down. Use the rangefinder and line up the right tick mark to tag those long range headshots.” Read More: Fortnite sniping from range can tend to be more like trial and error. We have also put together a number of other useful guides since the game’s stealthy release on February 4, which includes: a weapons guide, attachment rarity guide and even some information about when the Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass is set to launch. If you have any ideas about future guides that we should produce, tweet your ideas to us @Dexerto on Twitter! –

  • Apex Legends reveals first look at new Tropic Island map for Season 11 – Dexerto

Apex Legends reveals first look at new Tropic Island map for Season 11 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has debuted the launch trailer for Apex Legends Season 11: Escape. The trailer reveals some interesting new details about the upcoming Tropic Island map, and cues players in on some potential new gameplay elements. Apex Legends has unveiled the first extended look at the upcoming Tropic Island map via a four-minute-long cinematic video. From showcasing the local wildlife to teasing the abilities of the game’s next Legend, the whole trailer was rife for speculation about what to expect in the early-November update. Much of the trailer seemed to focus on the duality of the island. It may look like a pristine getaway location on the outside, but its interior proves to be a different beast entirely, and the Legends are going to have their hands full trying to navigate around it. Let’s take a look at the new piece of the pre-season puzzle. Apex Legends new map details revealed The obvious highlight of the map is the picturesque beachside where are all of the Legends first arrive. It seems like the perfect getaway location at first, but it doesn’t take long for the party to get interrupted by total chaos. This theme continues throughout the trailer, as each new location only gets a moment of quiet before being interrupted by the inevitable combat that awaits them. There were only a few places that even stayed around long enough for players to get a good feel for. One of those locations is another dilapidated somewhere on the edge of the island as Ash, Bangalore, and Mirage enter it before getting interrupted by Wattson, Pathfinder, and Seer. This is pretty similar to POIs that we’ve been in before – like Icarus, the downed ship in the southern region of Olympus. Whatever it is, Ash certainly seems to think it’s important, as she’s the one who leads the team there in the first place. There were also a handful of interactions with the local animals, and though this is nothing new for Apex Legends, there seems to be a renewed focus on it this time around. From Mirage trying to escape a predator at the beginning all the way to a horde of giant spiders that chased him at the end, it looks like the wildlife will play a significant role on the map. Apex Tropic Island map teasers Respawn has also released two new teasers for the map, with each one focusing on a new area. The first one focuses on the beach’s shoreline, revealing a better look at the new map’s coastal shelf. 📁: HABITAT X >📂: VARIOUS >>📂: Day 2 pic.twitter.com/Fdl6rZH7Y0— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 22, 2021 The second follows a similar formula, giving a brief tour of the local greenery around the island. 📁: HABITAT X >📂: NESTS >>📂: Day 12 pic.twitter.com/b5XacRlBQz— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 23, 2021 These are just the start of the process though, as the Season 11 gameplay trailer is arriving on Oct. 25.

  • Upgraded Apex Legends ‘Blue’ Supply Bins could be coming in Season 4 – Dexerto

Upgraded Apex Legends ‘Blue’ Supply Bins could be coming in Season 4 Respawn EntertainmentSupply Bins in Apex Legends are hit and miss with the random items they hold, but Season 4 could finally implement a way to solve the problem of lackluster loot crates. Since the launch of Respawn’s battle royale, players would be left baffled during their games after opening one of the many loot spawns just to find four straight Level 1 Body Shields or the like. While players respect the heavy RNG factors that go into games like Apex, sometimes prioritizing Supply Bins can hurt more than help people in the game for the wide range of items they can hold. That may be why a lot of fans are relieved to see that Respawn could be moving forward with plans for an upgraded Supply Bin – a concept many in the community have been hoping for. In the Ranked Series 3 page under the Season 4 category on EA’s Apex Legends site there’s a screenshot of World’s Edge in which eagle-eyed players found a strange new element next to a regular box. The loot crates that players are already accustomed to are marked by a white lid and a red back. But there seems to be a different one with a blue lid also in that picture, something not seen in the game so far. While some have attributed the different hue to a rendering issue, it’s not a stretch to believe Respawn could be teasing a new sort of loot crate since a regular one is sitting right next to it. More players have caught on to the screenshot and believe that if they really are on the way, it would be a great opportunity for the devs to test out crates that exclusively hold Tier 2 loot or above. Though it is interesting that the screenshot is in the Ranked Series 3 page of the site, which could mean that it’s a game element only for the Ranked playlist in the game. In either case, this would be a strong step forward to solving the issues surrounding Supply Bins’ loot in Apex Legends and would add another layer of strategy for the looting stage of a match.

  • Apex Legends recoil patterns for all weapons – Dexerto

Apex Legends recoil patterns for all weapons Respawn EntertainmentEvery weapon in Apex Legends has an established recoil pattern, meaning players can learn exactly how to control their favorite guns. Here’s every weapon’s recoil pattern, so you can even get a handle on the weapons you don’t use as often. Apex Legends is filled with unique characters that each come with their own ability kits which can change the course of a match. However, the core gameplay of the first-person shooter genre still requires players to be accurate with their weapons, and controlling recoil is massively important for those looking to climb the ranks in Apex Legends. Although it can take time to master some of these patterns in-game, it provides players with a significant advantage once they do, particularly in medium to long-range gunfights. Thankfully, we now have a perfect source to identify the recoil patterns, thanks to Apex Legends Mobile. On the mobile version, there is a full breakdown for each weapon, complete with their spray pattern. To make navigating the different weapons easier, we’ve split them up by weapon type. Contents Pistols Wingman Packing a heavy punch, the Wingman will drag up and to the left as you continue to blast it. RE-45 As the only auto-pistol, you may want to learn the recoil of the RE-45. Thankfully, it’s a straightforward pattern, shooting up and to the right. P2020 The P2020 isn’t a very powerful weapon, but it can be a lifesaver as a secondary. It’s recoil will jump around a bit, but with practice, is a very manageable firearm. Mozambique Clearly, there isn’t much to say about the Mozambique. It fires 3 pellets in a triangular formation – nothing unexpected here. SMGs Volt SMG The Volt is one of the most controllable SMGs, with the first part of the spray straight up. It gets a bit choppy at the half way point though, so you’ll need to watch out if you’re holding down the trigger. R-99 Fast fire rate comes at the expense of a strong recoil kick. Thankfully, it’s mostly straight up vertically, but a little to the right, with a little bit of swing at the top of the spray. Alternator The Alternator’s slow fire rate makes it very easy to control, and the pattern moves slightly right to left as it rises. Prowler Burst PDW Owing to it’s burst-fire nature, you shouldn’t have much trouble controlling the Prowler, but it will still shoot up sharply during each 5-bullet burst, first to the left, then the right. Assault Rifles R-301 Carbine Everyone’s go-to AR is the R-301, and it’s because of it’s easy to control aim. The start of the spray is straight up and slightly to the right, before it starts to weave slightly back and forth at the top. Havoc Rifle The Havoc is one of the most difficult recoil patterns to control, as it sends you aiming straight up violently after only a few shots. But, if you can get some attachments on it, it’s much more manageable. Flatline This heavy AR really packs a punch, but you will need to manage the recoil to hit the shots. But, the slower fire rate of the Flatline helps. Hemlok Burst AR Even though it’s a burst weapon, the recoil on the Hemlok can still throw you off. It’s mostly up and to the left though, so bear that in mind when practicing. LMGs Devotion Like the Havoc, the Devotion with no attachments can be a very tricky weapon to control, with a sharp recoil kick straight up and slightly left, before switching to the right. Spitfire The Spitfire used to be very low recoil until it was hit with some nerfs to make it a little bit more tricky. Recoil was reduced again slightly though when it went into care packages, but still has a manageable vertical kick, before veering to the right. L-Star EMG The L-Star has very simple recoil: straight up and slightly to the right. Rampage LMG The Rampage isn’t available in Apex Legends Mobile yet, but you can see the recoil pattern of the weapon the screenshot. Shotguns Peacekeeper With Shotguns, there’s no ‘recoil’ pattern to worry about, you just have to take into consideration the pellet spread. With the Peacekeeper, it has a star-like shape. EVA-8 As the name implies, the EVA-8 fires 8 pellets, in an oval-like shape. Mastiff The Mastiff has a unique spread, which will fire across a thin line. That’s why, for best results, it’s always recommended to ADS with the Mastiff when firing, which will narrow the spread significantly. Snipers Sentinel As you might expect, you won’t have to worry about controlling recoil with snipers, as the fire rate is far too slow for it to be a factor. Kraber The most powerful weapon in the game – you can get a whopping 435 damage with a Kraber headshot. Longbow DMR The Longbow has always been a favorite sniper, performing similarly to the Sentinel, but without the charge-up ability. Charge Rifle With its beam firing style, you’ll just need to pull slightly down and to the left to control the sway on the Charge Rifle. Marksman Weapons Triple Take Like the Mastiff, the Triple Take fires a spread of three shots. To narrow the spread, ADS when firing. G7 Scout You shouldn’t have too much trouble controlling the recoil on the Scout, as it’s a straight vertical pattern. 30-30 Repeater Another weapon not yet available in Apex Legends Mobile is the 30-30 Repeater, but you can see its recoil pattern here: While the recoil for some guns is fairly straightforward, there are a few weapons, such as the Devotion, that have crazy recoil patterns that can prove a challenge for anyone. Weapons like Alternator, on the other hand, are probably among the easiest to master as players simply need to pull their crosshair down when firing at a high rate. • Updated damage stats for all Apex Legends weapons following v1.1.1 update – Dexerto

Updated damage stats for all Apex Legends weapons following v1.1.1 update With the most recent update in Apex Legends having made major changes to several weapons, one player has come up with an updated graphic showing all of the new damage stats. The v1.1.1 update in Apex Legends was released on April 16, implementing buffs and nerfs to a variety of weapons, including a few of the more popular guns. Although patch came out about a month ago, the new damage stats for the weapons were not revealed, until Reddit user ‘OhFamous‘ came up with a graph that showed all of the update stats. Longbow DMR One of the weapons that was heavily modified in the v1.1.1 update was the Longbow DMR sniper rifle, which saw both its fire rate and magazine size increased, as well a series of other buffs. According to the chart, the Longbow now has 110 DPS, dealing 55 damage for shots on the body, and 110 for headshots. Sniper Rifles While the Longbow DMR may have received the most buffs out of all of the sniper rifles, two other weapons in the category (G7 Scout, Triple Take) were all also given a boost in their effectiveness. Lowered leg shot damage reduction: 25% -> 10% – Reduced base weapon sway by about 33% – Reduced base sway speed by about 25% – As a result, the G7 Scout now deals 135 DPS, with 30 to the body and 60 to the head, while the Triple Take deals 138, 69, and 138 respectively. Spitfire Prior to the update, many would rank the M600 Spitfire as one of the best weapons in the game. However, the update nerfed the gun significantly, with the its base damage being reduced by two points and its magazine size decreased for all extender attachments This means that the Spitfire’s post-update damage profile deals 162 DPS, 18 body shot damage, and 36 headshot damage. The gun’s max magazine size now only goes up to 55 with the Epic mag extender attachment. You can check out the full graph of updates weapon stats below. The numbers in parentheses next to several of the stats in the graph are meant to show the amount of damage that would be dealt if all of the bullets in a single burst connect with the enemy player. Also, keep in mind that some stats may have some inaccuracies, since they were all collected and measured by a player and not officially confirmed by Respawn Entertainment.

  • Upcoming LTMs for Apex Legends September Soiree revealed – Dexerto

Upcoming LTMs for Apex Legends September Soiree revealed Respawn EntertainmentEach week in September, a returning LTM mode will be available in Apex Legends, rotating every Thursday, and we know now which LTMs are coming, after DUMMIE’s Big Day was temporarily disabled. The September Soiree event is the first mid-season event of Season 6, and as well as returning LTMs, will bring back skins from the Grand Soiree in January, that can be purchased at a discounted price. This sale will start on September 15 and run until September 22, while the September Soiree itself continues until October 5. This is because the final LTM will begin on September 29, and be available for one week. However, Respawn themselves did not confirm what the next modes will be in rotation, following DUMMIE’s Big Day. Read More: Best tips for using Pathfinder’s Grapple – Unfortunately, shortly after DUMMIE’s Big Day went live, a somewhat game-breaking bug would crash the lobby if a player went AFK during character select. We’re hitting pause on the party. After DUMMIES Big Day went live, we discovered a bug that caused server crashes if a player AFKed on character select. For the health of the game and our players, we’re turning it off and working on a fix with details to come as we have them. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) September 9, 2020 Respawn acted quickly and disabled the mode, and replaced it with Kings Canyon: After Dark. Next LTMs in Apex Legends As confirmed by reliable data miner and content creator Shrugtal, three more LTMs are coming, in the following order: King’s Canyon: After Dark – Armed & Dangerous – DUMMIEs Big Day – LIVE. DIE. LIVE. – If Respawn keep the dates they were using previously, then Armed & Dangerous will start on September 15, DUMMIE’s Big Day on September 22, and LIVE. DIE. LIVE on September 29. If you’re unfamiliar with these modes, Armed & Dangerous typically only has Shotguns and Snipers, with limited shields. Kings Canyon: After Dark is fairly self-explanatory, it’s just the night-time version of the map. The last time this LTM was available, it was the Season 2 version of Kings Canyon. That could mean Skulltown returns. And finally, LIVE. DIE. LIVE automatically respawns dead teammates every time the ring closes. As mentioned, it’s still possible that these LTMs change, or the dates they’re scheduled to arrive changes. We’ll keep you up to date.

  • Upcoming Apex Legends Twitch Prime skin for Caustic leaked – Dexerto

Upcoming Apex Legends Twitch Prime skin for Caustic leaked EAAn Apex Legends dataminer has uncovered the free Twitch Prime skin coming to game in January for none other than Caustic himself. As part of their ongoing collaboration with EA and Respawn Entertainment, Twitch Prime began another multi-month promotion for free Apex cosmetics in December with an exclusive Crypto skin for players to collect. The Crypto skin is only available until January 14 with Caustic next on the list, and thanks to iLootGames on Twitter, we now know what the skin will look like. What definitely looks like Caustic’s Prime skin was uncovered by iLootGames and shared on Twitter two days before the skin is set to release on January 16. The skin itself is red with gold trim along with Caustic’s trademark gas mask and goggles. His backpack also seems to be red/maroon, but his hair appears to be straight from the classic model. It isn’t the craziest skin for the Legend we’ve ever seen, but it should fit right in with all the other new skins in the Grand Soirée Arcade event just fine. Caustic prime pic.twitter.com/0x1OLhS9tQ — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) January 14, 2020 To unlock the skin when it becomes available, players will need to have an active Twitch Prime subscription and link their Twitch accounts with their EA accounts. Once the accounts are linked, all players need to do is visit the Apex Legends page on the Twitch Prime website, log in with Prime and claim the free Caustic skin for January. There are still plenty more free Apex skins and cosmetics to come from Twitch Prime in 2019, but when we’ll get the next hint on February’s item remains to be seen. Along with a free new Caustic skin for Twitch Prime members, the final weeks of Apex Legends Season 3 will also feature the new Grand Soirée Arcade event. This event is focused on Pathfinder but every legend in the game (Caustic included) will get their very own exclusive skin for the event. Check out all the skins we know of so far here. The Grand Soirée patch went live on PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 14, and the event wraps up on January 28.
