  • Unusual solution could fix SBMM issue in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Unusual solution could fix SBMM issue in Apex Legends One Apex Legends player came up with a unique solution to the recent skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) complaints that Respawn Entertainment has been receiving. Apex Legends has become wildly popular since its release on February 4, 2019, with millions of players testing their skills in the in-game Arena which puts a hero twist on battle royale. However, many players have become frustrated with the game’s matchmaking system in late 2019, calling for changes to be made to SBMM to prevent having to play against players of a similar skill-level every match. Reddit user u/robot87 claimed that a solution to the current system would include having ranked play as the default playlist and that players would need to reach level 10 before unlocking other non-SBMM modes. “So the way the argument for “SBMM everywhere” goes is that casual players are intimidated by the Ranked Mode,” the player explained, “so the devs just chose to basically make both modes ranked.” Robot87 claimed that ranked play would be easier for new players to get into in his proposed system, “stop displaying Ranked mode as an advanced one requiring level 10 to unlock. For new players Ranked mode is much easier than the way regular queue used to be without SBMM.” They explained that by players having to unlock the queue for matches against opponents of varying skill levels, it would completely change players’ approach to queuing up for matches, “The way things stand now, the default mode is ranked anyway, with invisible progression.” The Apex Legends fans also explained that removing SBMM would likely lead to a more exciting experience for the player base, “None of this dynamic storytelling is possible when all players are equally matched with all K/D ratios being artificially pushed towards 1. Wild random queue is the ultimate Battle Royale.” Comment byu/robot87 from discussion inapexlegends The idea received a mixed reaction to the unorthodox approach, although many were aligned with the argument that something needed to be done to make casual matches of the popular battle royale game more enjoyable. Respawn devs have revealed their decision to implement SBMM in the past, claiming that it is more popular among the player base than many fans suggest, although with increasing community backlash over the matchmaking system it would not be shocking to see some changes made to it in the future.

  • Unusual Apex Legends trick lets you test locked characters in Firing Range – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends trick lets you test locked characters in Firing Range Respawn/EAIf you’ve got some locked characters in Apex Legends and want to test them out in the Firing Range, well, you finally can thanks to a pretty random trick. While it might not have all the features that some players want, Apex Legends’ Firing Range is certainly a fine way for players to get warmed up before jumping into the battle royale. The practice mode lets you get to grips with every weapon and item that you may come across in-game, so you can figure out what you’re most comfortable with. You can also use the different legends and their abilities as well. For the longest time, players have asked Respawn to let them test out the legends that they haven’t unlocked in Firing Range, just to see if they mesh well with them before purchasing. Even though that hasn’t happened yet, there is somewhat of a workaround. The unusual trick was pointed out by Redditor Dark_Infernox, who noted that you’ll need to have Rampart unlocked for it to work. If you don’t, you’ll be out of luck. If you do have Rampart unlocked though, you simply select the crafty legend in the main menu before trying to load into Firing Range. Once you’ve loaded in, you’re likely to have some different abilities. As shown in their video, the Redditor was able to get Revenant’s abilities despite not having the Synthetic Nightmare unlocked. The Redditor noted that is complete luck of the draw as to whose abilities you’ll be given, but they added that they’ve gotten Revenant and Mad Maggie more than anyone else. Though, they’ve had problems getting original legends like Bloodhound. Of course, the weird workaround has only prompted players to, again, call for Respawn to give them the option to test legends they don’t have. With improvements coming to Firing Range before long, it remains to be seen if they’ll allow players to do so, or if things will remain as they are now.

  • Unusual Apex Legends Rampart bug makes Amped Cover useless – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends Rampart bug makes Amped Cover useless Respawn/EAApex Legends players have run into an unusual clipping bug with Rampart’s Amped Cover that appears to be taking After plenty of teasers, as well as much speculation, Rampart was added to Apex Legends’ cast of characters at the start of Season 6 – bringing her Sheila minigun and Amped Cover to the battle royale. As a result, Rampart has instantly become a fixture across games on both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge, with her minigun ultimate being able to completely wipe out unsuspecting players in the late game. However, some players believe they might have found an issue with her Amped Cover tactical that is making it useless if you want to camp in certain spots. The potential problem was pointed out by Redditor Riadraptor, who showcased a few clips from recent games where they had attempted to put the Amped Cover down. Each time the Reddit user tried to put it down – typically in a doorway or a potential chokehold – the cover would start to deploy before exploding into thin air moments later. Typically, when an ability can’t be used for one reason or another, you will be refunded in a way as there’s no cooldown. However, in this case, Riadraptor noted that they had to wait the full 30 seconds for the ability to cool down before they could use it properly again. To some, it might seem like a bit of a menial issue – especially as it looks like the doorways could be causing a clipping problem of some kind – but for Rampart mains, it could have a major impact. As of writing, the devs haven’t given the issue a place on their public Trello board, so it’s unknown if they’re aware of the potential problem. If they are, though, they’ll have to fix it at some point.

  • Unusual Apex Legends disconnect bug is completely ruining games – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends disconnect bug is completely ruining games Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have found an unusual bug that is ruining matches through randomly disconnecting them from the game. With the launch of Season 6 fast approaching, Apex fans will look to play their last games before the battle royale title receives some major changes, with a new Legend, Rampart, confirmed to be on the way. However, a strange bug has now been found which is disconnecting players at random and ruining their chances at picking up their final wins in Season 5. Random disconnect bug in Apex Legends Earning the title of ‘Champion’ can be challenging for even the best Apex Legends players but this bug is making it nearly impossible to stay alive. One Apex fan u/the_meme_player shared a clip of this bizarre glitch happening to them, revealing that they were instantly sent back to the lobby after taking some damage. “[The] game randomly kicks me back to the lobby?” they added, pointing out that there did not seem to be any lag beforehand and that they could not rejoin. The player had just used Wraith’s ‘Into the Void’ ability when it happened but it is unknown whether or not the character’s skills were the reason for the bug. Respawn has added a new reconnect feature in Season 5, however, as your character remains in the same state as you left them, it does not help much when it happens mid-gunfight. As of now, it is still unclear just what is causing this game-breaking bug and many fans have called for Respawn to add a fix. The Apex Legends devs have yet to respond to this glitch but you can check out our guide to solve lag or connection errors here.

  • Apex Legends devs working to fix Caustic bug that cancels Fuse’s Ult – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs working to fix Caustic bug that cancels Fuse’s Ult Respawn/EARespawn Entertainment are going to address an unusual Apex Legends bug that lets Caustic perfectly counter Fuse’s Motherlode ult as soon as he fires it. Update June 19 Respawn developer ‘pav’ said that the studio has been looking into the interaction between Caustic’s gas and Fuse’s ultimate ability that causes it to cancel. This comes after a few reports had come in showing Fuse’s ult untimely disappearance inside of Caustic’s AoE gas. Original story follows below When Fuse was first introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 8, there was plenty of excitement and concern surrounding the Aussie-voiced legend. In all the teasers, his abilities came across as a little strange compared to other characters, and as soon as players got their hands on him, they found ways to have fun – with some throwing grenades miles for kills with his passive. However, his time on top hasn’t lasted long. Fuse has slipped down the popularity rankings, clocking in as a C-tier legend in our tier list. Yet, he may slip even further thanks to a new issue. Apex Legends fan BASSboozler pointed out that, if Caustic has his gas out and Fuse tries to use his Motherlode ultimate at the same time, it just won’t work. Fuse can pull out his rocket and fire it, but as soon as it leaves the cannon, the ultimate will disappear into thin air like it’s been intercepted by Wattson’s Interception Pylon. To make matters worse, this counts as a use, and the cooldown will begin afterwards. While some players believe this is intended, given Fuse is being damaged by the gas and the gas might damage the rocket whilst in flight, it isn’t actually listed as a supposed interaction between the two abilities. Other players agreed with the assessment that it’s a bug and one that needs addressing by Respawn, but suggested they may not do so given that Fuse isn’t exactly a hugely popular legend. In either case, the studio will try work out a fix for the interaction that can leave Fuse without his ult against Caustic.

  • Unusual Apex Legends bug gives Octane ‘infinite’ Stim – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends bug gives Octane ‘infinite’ Stim Respawn/EA[jwplayer nSi1JiL0]Apex Legends players have uncovered an unusual animation bug that gives Octane ‘infinite’ Stim but he doesn’t actually receive a speed boost. Ever since being introduced back in Apex Legends Season 1, Octane has become a popular character to main across Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. While the high-speed daredevil is a popular legend, he has had plenty of problems in the past – including bugs were players had been unable to reload or use weapons when his Stim was activated as well as having his jump pad not give anyone a boost. Now, players have uncovered another slight issue that Octane mains might run into, but it actually doesn’t help or even take away from the legend. The unusual animation was pointed out by Reddit user ZyroZen who showcased a clip of it in action during a run around of the Firing Range practice mode. While running around, Octane had the Stim in his chest as normal – and his left hand was moving at the speed of light, just as it should when he usually receives a speed boost. However, there was no extra speed to be found in this case. ZyroZen even showed off how unusual the reload looked. Where Octane’s left arm should pull the mag out of the gun, it just kept on acting as if his Stim was activated – leaving the reload to happen quite unusually. Given that the bug doesn’t hamper, or help, the legend in any way, it might just be a loose bit of code having gone haywire that is causing the actually pretty funny animation to happen to Octane. Unless it starts popping up in matches consistently, and really frustrating Octane mains, Respawn might not actually get around to fixing it as soon as something like the Knockdown Shield bug.

  • Unusual Apex Legends Arenas bug gives Octane free stims – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends Arenas bug gives Octane free stims Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a new bug in Arenas that gives Octane a fresh stim, even if he’s only just used it. With the start of Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, Respawn Entertainment brought a brand new mode to the battle royale – Arenas. The long-awaited 3v3 mode pits two teams against each other in smaller areas of the Apex Legends maps, with the goal being to eliminate your enemies and pick up three-round wins. The mode has already proven to be pretty popular, but it does have its kinks and issues at times. Notably, Mirage’s ultimate can be a bit useless given that the game displays the player’s username above the deocys, making the real one a dead giveaway. On the opposite side of that, Octane mains get a bit of a small boost on the Phraserunner map, given that they can use their stim and get it back, for free, at the start of games. As many players have pointed out, should you use Octane on Phraserunner, you can pop the tactical ability before running into the portal and come out on the other side with the effects still in place. Unlike in the normal battle royale mode, where you use the ability and then jump through a Wraith portal, when you come out on the other side, the ability won’t be on cooldown. You’ll be able to pop it, again, right away, giving you a small boost. Now, is this something that will be the difference between winning and losing? No, probably not. However, it could become something that players exploit, just to get to positions quicker. Of course, it’s only limited to the Phraserunner map, so you won’t have to worry about it creep into games elsewhere. Though, we’ll have to wait and see if Respawn get around to addressing it any time soon.

  • Unstoppable Apex Legends hackers can now shoot while healing – Dexerto

Unstoppable Apex Legends hackers can now shoot while healing Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends hackers are now able to heal while firing their weapon and shoot after being downed, making them almost impossible to kill. With Apex Legends being a competitive battle royale, the majority of players go into every match looking to outperform their opponents and pick up the win. Although most of the community relies on their gun skills and game knowledge to achieve this, some players opt to use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage over their competition. Whether it’s an aimbot, restoring armor instantly, or even dual-wielding, Apex hacks are constantly evolving. Now, it seems cheaters are capable of firing their weapon while using consumables and also shooting after they’ve been downed, effectively making them unstoppable. New Apex hacks allow cheaters to shoot while healing Deciding when to heal or put pressure on your opponents is a difficult skill in Apex Legends that requires players to evaluate every gunfight and weigh up the risks. Unfortunately, this is not an issue hackers have to worry about as a new set of cheats is allowing them to heal while firing their weapon and shoot while they’re downed. As showcased by JaniHazard on the Apex Legends subreddit, this makes them almost impossible to kill as they can be constantly restoring their health and shields. Even when the cheater is finally downed by opponents, they’re still able to take pop shots with their dual-wield Wingman. With more and more of these hacking clips being shared around the community, this will definitely be a concern for Respawn. Although they’ve vowed to step up the fight against hackers and DDoSers, they still seem to be a huge issue for a lot of players, especially at the higher tiers of Ranked. For now, it’s just a case of waiting for these cheaters to get individually banned, and hopefully, the devs can find a solution to the hacking problem.

  • Unreleased weapon type spotted in Apex Legends Chaos Theory dev stream – Dexerto

Unreleased weapon type spotted in Apex Legends Chaos Theory dev stream Respawn/EAApex Legends fans have spotted an unreleased weapon type in the Chaos Theory dev stream, hinting at a ‘Marksman’ class coming soon. While Apex Legends has set characters with their own abilities, the formula is the same as other battle royales. Drop in at a spot, loot up, take down enemies, and be the last team standing to get the all-important win. Even though using your abilities in the most optimal way will help you get a win, getting the best loot possible is still key too. You have to get weapons that are going to pick off enemies. These weapons are constantly undergoing buffs and nerfs, with players offering up their own suggestions for changes as well. However, it appears as if an all-new weapon type could be coming to the game. During the recent Chaos theory devstream, where the Respawn team went over some of the changes coming to the battle royale in the next event, players were on the lookout for any slip-ups. Read More: Apex Legends mobile playtests starting – They spotted one in the form of a ‘Marksman’ weapon type. As one of the devs went near a 3x HCOG Ranger scope, the tags that indicate what weapon it could go on read: Sniper, LMG, AR, and Marksman. It’s obviously sparked interest, given its brand-new, but it’s not hard to guess what the Marksman type could be. Weapons like the G7 Scout and 30-30 Repeater which aren’t Snipers, nor Assault Rifles, fit in perfectly with what you’d think constitutes as a Marksman gun. These dev streams have revealed plenty of ‘new’ things in the past, including weapons and new equipment. However, many of these have not made it into the game just yet, and are typically being worked on for balancing issues. Just introducing a new weapon type likely wouldn’t require a whole load of balancing work, so we could see introduced in the near future. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Unreleased Apex Legends weapon spotted in Season 6 devstream – Dexerto

Unreleased Apex Legends weapon spotted in Season 6 devstream Respawn/EAFresh Apex Legends leaks have revealed that a new weapon might be coming soon after the “Predator” codename was spotted in the files of the new patch – and it might have been revealed during the Season 6 dev stream. As the new Apex legends seasons have unfolded, Respawn Entertainment have been filling their battle royale up with new content. Be that a new legend, maps and map changes, new cosmetics, and even quests, the devs have added plenty. With the start of Season 6: Boosted, Respawn added Rampart to the mix as well as the Volt SMG. However, some data miners have already been rooting through the new files to find what’s coming soon. Some have already found references to a new map with the “Tropic Island” codename and on top of that, there also looks to be a new weapon coming down the way. The info comes from reliable data miner Shrugtal who pointed out that the files reference a new weapon that goes by the name of Predator. There’s nothing in the files about what type of weapon it would be, though, one of the strings of code does say “shell drops,” which could be in reference to a reload animation. Some Apex players had suggested that it could be the Bow that was spotted a few weeks back, however, the shell drops note would likely put an end to that rumor. Instead, it looks more like that it would fit the bill of being the mysterious rifle that was spotted in the Season 6 dev stream. Of course, weapons have been leaked in the past and not made their way into the game, with Respawn noting that there are plenty of leftover files from their Titanfall series. We’ll just have to wait and see as to what the Apex devs have up their sleeve moving forward, and if this “Predator” weapon makes its way into Season 6.

  • Unreleased Apex Legends characters may have already been revealed – Dexerto

Unreleased Apex Legends characters may have already been revealed Respawn Entertainment teased new characters to come in Apex Legends’ Deep Dive trailer, but clues from the Titanfall universe might have revealed the next Legends players can expect to play as. Apex Legends released February 4 and has since taken the gaming world by storm for its polished gameplay and concise set of playable legends who each bring unique elements to the battlefield. In a Reddit post, FrozenFroh connected some dots in Titanfall’s history that led to a sound theory of the next two characters being a a Simulacrum red-hooded pilot and Korean character named Talchum. Apex Legends has only been out a week and they game is already hinting at a double character release. pic.twitter.com/203D1U2Kvd — Chwistopher (@Loudwindow) February 13, 2019 Although the gameplay trailer showed two silhouetted characters from afar, FrozenFroh zoomed into the figures which revealed better clues to their identities. Read more: How to watch Dr Disrespect’s first Code Red Apex Legends tournament – Stream, format and more – The figure on the left seems to be a spritely humanoid who seems to fit the mold of a Titanfall 2 concept design for a robotic character. Some fans will know that Bloodhound was born out of an unused concept design, which makes the possibility of the Simulacrum soldier entering the game that much more plausible. If FrozenFroh is correct, then the figure on the right has actually already been introduced in the Apex Legends world, first appearing in Pathfinder’s official art. The character appears in a large banner that seems to be celebrating legends since it’s positioned above a larger poster of Wraith. The banners have Korean text that translates to Talchum, presumably the character’s name. Further similarities in the poses, clothing, and more shown in the small clip and in the concept art paint a better, although loose, connection to the character’s identity. Respawn Entertainment has already confirmed more legends will be added to the fray, but players will just have to wait and see for more details as the game grows.

  • “Unplayable” Apex Legends bug causing UI to completely disappear – Dexerto

“Unplayable” Apex Legends bug causing UI to completely disappear Respawn EntertainmentA new bug popping up in Apex Legends is causing players UI to randomly disappear during matches, making the game much more difficult, if not outright impossible to play. In most FPS games, a UI showing information like ammunition, equipment, and health, is considered absolutely essential, and something that players quickly get accustomed too after a few runs. Unless you’re playing something like a Call of Duty hardcore playlist, players expect to have this information available, which is why this new Apex Legends bug can be so annoying. Not having any readouts on-screen does make one wonder how a hardcore mode would work in Apex, but it’s definitely not something you want to happen during a regular match. In the clip above from Reddit user Zerk_Daniels, the player starts out with a regular UI, but it starts to stutter in and out, disappearing at random times, possibly when they look in a certain direction. The minimap in the upper left is basically the only thing that’s left when the glitch happens, so at the very least it doesn’t leave him flying completely blind, but he’s still not working with much. “What isn’t included in the video is that you also can’t ping, because you can’t see where,” Zerk added. “Your health doesn’t show, you can’t see if you’re jumpmaster, text chat is invisible and also your inventory and healing wheel don’t show up making it impossible to know any useful information you need in the game.” “It seems to happen much more on Kings Canyon than World’s Edge. The bug came up with the launch on Season 6 and really ruins the fun for me and other people that experience the same problem.” The odd thing is that you could still switch weapons, throw your grenades, and use abilities, but not being able to communicate with your team other than voice chat is definitely a massive handicap. Just think about how many times you ping the map during a round; now, imagine not being able to do that at all. There’s no clear-cut way to tell what causes this bug to flare up and when, so if you’re running around on Kings Canyon, be prepared for it to suddenly strike at any moment. Until Respawn Entertainment address it, looks like some players will have to deal with a hardcore mode no one asked for.

  • Unlucky Apex Legends fail shows how Storm Point’s Gravity Cannons can ruin a match – Dexerto

Unlucky Apex Legends fail shows how Storm Point’s Gravity Cannons can ruin a match Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player learned the hard way that Gravity Cannons can activate without having to actually step on them, showing how Storm Point’s launchers can quickly ruin a match. At the turn of Season 11, Respawn Entertainment introduced the tropical sights and sounds of its fourth map in the series. What makes Storm Point unique are the hazards and local fauna scattered throughout the map. Though not a hazard outright, some players are finding that the new Gravity Cannons can be just as deadly as the Prowlers and spiders living on the map. An Apex Legends fail showed why you shouldn’t play around the cannons, especially in the latter portions of a match when the zone can quickly kill you off. Apex Legends Gravity Cannon fail Reddit user ‘c0-pilot’ and their team were in the last rounds of a ranked match where only five teams were left. The squad has its back toward the ring and were maneuvering around and underneath a Gravity Cannon. Read more: Apex Legends voice actors for all characters – They ducked even lower into the cannon’s underside when its propulsion effects lit up and flung the player across the air. “Yesterday I learned that you can activate the gravity cannons from beneath,” they said. Under the ring’s damaging effects, Wattson’s poignant voiceline mid-air summed up the player’s realization by saying: “I’m in trouble.” Due to the zone’s damage in the fifth round, the player was downed as soon as they landed. While the player could have pulled out some heals mid-flight, they were surprised by the cannon’s activation to react in time. This is a good reminder for people trying out Storm Point that these launchers can work both for and against their team.

  • Unique gliding legend could help take Apex Legends to new heights – Dexerto

Unique gliding legend could help take Apex Legends to new heights An imaginative Apex Legends fan has come up with an amazing gliding legend concept that could work really well in the game, and give it a welcomed change of pace. Vaulting into the air with Octane’s Launch Pad ability, and zipping around the map with Pathfinder’s Zipline Gun are both fun and quick ways of getting around in Apex Legends – but what if you could glide? One ingenious Apex fan created a legend concept with that very ability, and if we were to ever see gliding in the game in the future, it would definitely allow players to see the map from a whole new perspective. “We’re soaring, flying…” Reddit user ‘chrisham685’ posted their legend concept to the official Apex Legends subreddit, where it received a massive 7,400 upvotes in just 19 hours. The concept details ‘Slipstream’ the Aerial Combatant, who soars around the map using his tactical Wingsuit ability. He can also climb walls and his Hooked Gloves give him “increased climb speed.” His ultimate ability Weather Balloon allows the legend to re-activate his jetpack, and fly to a chosen point as though he’s just entered the game. People want the legend in Apex People went absolutely mad for chrisham685’s concept, and wanted Slipstream to actually be added into the game, sharing ideas on how he could be made even better. “If I were to elaborate on this idea I think the gloves should make him able to climb up any surface and possible stay there. I could see some funny shenanigans with that idea.” one user commented, echoing the Wall-Hanging ability from the Titanfall games. “His tactical would be useful if his passive is strong. As long as he is able to climb really quickly and without the same height limit as other legends, it’ll be very useful and he’ll be hard to hit. He should be able to freelook with right click and hipfire while flying in a straight line. Plus, they’re about to change some parts of the map. Repulsor breaking and the leviathans might increase the options for verticality,” another person commented, detailing how his controls could work. They also made a good point about the Leviathans finally coming onto dry land in Season 2, stating that they’d work well for the verticality of Slipstream’s ability. A gliding legend in Apex Legends is a fantastic idea, and could work really well if implemented correctly. It would be just what the game needs to shake up the character meta.

  • “Unfair” Loba disadvantage is still not fixed after 2 years in Apex Legends – Dexerto

“Unfair” Loba disadvantage is still not fixed after 2 years in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players are annoyed that a design issue with Loba has still not been fixed despite the fact she’s been in the battle royale for almost 10 seasons at this point. When Loba was first introduced to Apex Legends all the way back in Season 5, plenty of fans wondered how her abilities – specifically her bracelet and Black Market Boutique – would affect the battle royale’s meta. While she hasn’t always been the strongest legend in the game, the Translocating Thief has always had a place in fans’ hearts and is used on a somewhat steady basis compared to the likes of Crypto and Mad Maggie. However, despite her approaching her tenth season in Apex Legends, there are still a few flaws with Loba, especially when it comes to hiding behind cover. And some fans can’t believe it hasn’t been addressed yet. Apex Legends players want “unfair” Loba issue fixed If you’ve never noticed it to this point, well, Loba sticks out when she attempts to hide behind cover. Despite being on the smaller side of the legends, her head is clearly visible, even though, on her side, it looks as if she’s fully concealed. Apex Legends YouTuber Skeptation highlighted the problem again on October 9, saying it’s been over 880 days and players are still falling foul to the issue. He pointed out that the only way, still, to get around the problem is to equip a weapon and look fully at the floor. In doing so, Loba will duck, but if her weapon is holstered, she’ll remain visible. This is an issue that doesn’t affect any legend but her, however. Despite it being an issue for so long, some players have been oblivious to it to this point, and now want respawn to address it. “How did they not test this like, I’m legitimately super surprised,” said one. “I don’t understand why would anyone make a pvp shooter where the 1st person view is WAY off compared to the 3rd person model,” commented another. “Don’t really care about Loba but this is unfair,” added another. Some players believe it is a purposeful design from Respawn and that things will never be changed. Though, there are plenty of others who believe otherwise. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if anything does happen.

  • Underused Apex Legends are actually perfect Catalyst counters in Season 15 – Dexerto

Underused Apex Legends are actually perfect Catalyst counters in Season 15 Respawn/EALooking for a way to counter Catalyst in Apex Legends? Well, there are a few under-the-radar legends that do a fairly decent job of that. With the start of Apex Legends Season 15: Eclipse, Respawn Entertainment have introduced the battle royale’s newest legend in the form of Catalyst. It shouldn’t be a shock, but the Defensive Conjurer has quickly shot to the top of the pick rate charts as players have tried to get used to her. Some have found her to be a little overpowered already, while others believe she’s going to fall firmly in the middle of the pack. Her arrival has also brought about some mechanics to Apex. Catalyst’s ferrofluid can barricade doors and set spike traps, things the game hasn’t seen before with this strength. Though, they can be countered. Crypto counters Catalyst perfectly in Apex Legends That’s right, if you’re tired of a Catalyst running inside a building, using her Barricade passive, and getting a heal off, then you’re in luck. You can actually use Crypto to completely counter that Barricade ability. Why? Well, his drone’s ability to unlock hacked doors works on the ferrofluid too. And, it’s not a bug, it’s an intentional game design from Respawn themselves, so it’s not going to get patched. Some players have also found that Rampart’s Shiela mini-gun and Fuse’s knuckle cluster grenade can also render the Barricade useless, but they may not work as instantly as Crypto’s master key. While they are intention counter from Respawn, many players may not know about them because they don’t use the characters. As of the last pick rate checks, Crypto was used by 1.2% of players, Rampart only 1.5%, and Fuse only 3.2% as well. So, if you’ve got them unlocked, it might be worth giving them a whirl again to get rid of your Catalyst headaches.

  • Underused Apex Legend is “broken” in Season 22 but no one’s complaining – Dexerto

Underused Apex Legend is “broken” in Season 22 but no one’s complaining Respawn EntertainmentOne of Apex Legends’ most underrated characters is “broken” in Season 22, but players are actually pretty pleased by that fact. Over the last few years, as more and more characters have been added to Apex Legends, some legends have slipped through the cracks. Whether they’re underpowered or not as fun to play as others, there are some that naturally get ignored. Respawn’s regular legend updates are supposed to tackle that problem, but some just continue to fall by the wayside in the meta. Rampart has slipped into that category over the last few seasons. The Amped Modder was a popular pick when she first joined the Apex Games, but has fallen away. However, it appears she is a little “broken” in Season 22. That’s according to Redditors who are still maining her, anyway. That includes N3FARIOUS24, who showcased Rampart’s power by utilizing her Sheila mini-gun and Amped Cover on the edge of a closing ring to completely outplay a group of enemies. As shown, the minigun has enough charge to shoot down a balloon and force enemies into her path. That’s a deadly combo. Despite the Redditor’s claim that she is “too broken” now, plenty of players are completely fine with that. “Rampart has always been good. The buffs the last few years have just made her more accessible to people who were unwilling or incapable of micromanaging her abilities,” one player said. “It’s honestly about time controller legends have their time to shine.” Another added: “Just let her be good for once. It doesn’t have to be Horizon or Revenant all the time that shines.” “Rampart is good this season, has been for a while,” another commented. As per ApexLegendsStatus, Rampart currently has 1.9% and 0.5% pick rates in casual and Predator lobbies, respectively. Those usage rates put her in the bottom tier of legends. So, yes, she is very overlooked and that should change really.

  • Unbelievable Apex Legends solo kill world record has been set – Dexerto

Unbelievable Apex Legends solo kill world record has been set It’s just over a week since Apex Legends was officially released, but already we’ve seen some incredible performances from players, including what appears to be a world record setting game. Apex Legends is Respawn Entertainment’s entry into the massively popular battle royale genre, and is available for free on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Players group up in teams of three and battle to become the last squad standing, eliminating any teams along the way as they attempt to secure the victory. While many players have earned some impressive wins since the game’s launch, NRG Esports star Dizzy has set the new standard for kills in an Apex Legends match. Dizzy, who was announced as a member of NRG’s Apex Legends team on February 11, uploaded an image to Twitter that showed him finishing a game with 33 kills. This is incredibly impressive, especially when you consider that the total number of players in an Apex Legends match is 60, meaning that Dizzy killed over half of the lobby on his way to setting this amazing record. SET WORLD RECORD KILLS IN @PlayApex LETS FUCKING GO pic.twitter.com/beNs2yWf1D — NRG dizzy (@dizzfila) February 12, 2019 Dizzy will be back in action when he takes part in the Apex Legends Twitch Rivals tournament, with the NRG member set to team up with Richard ‘KingRichard’ Nelson and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. Twitch Rivals is stacked with some of the biggest and best players on the streaming platform, but because there are no custom matches yet, it will be played in public lobbies. If KingRichard and Ninja aren’t pulling their weight, Dizzy could well have his target set on breaking his own record.

  • Unbelievable Apex Legends death shows why Bloodhound deserves a buff – Dexerto

Unbelievable Apex Legends death shows why Bloodhound deserves a buff Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community is begging for a fix or buff of some kind to Bloodhound after multiple players have been noticing a severe problem with their ability kit. Respawn Entertainment launched their battle royale early February and Legends have been fluctuating in favor with the community ever since. Now players have been taking issue with the Bloodhound’s “comically bad” scanner and are looking to the devs to make a change. In a Reddit post, user ‘FunkyJazzStuff’ gave the best look yet into why Bloodhound’s kit could already use a huge buff or rework since it doesn’t appear to do anything that it’s meant to. Bloodhound needs to open both Eyes of the Allfather In the clip, FunkyJazzStuff is running up to the second floor of a building as Bloodhound in the middle of a fight. Like any good hunter would do, the player activated the Eye of the Allfather to take a peak for any threatening dangers that may lie ahead. The scanner didn’t pick up a close threat around FunkyJazzStuff since it gave them the “No Hostiles” banner. But the player was shocked to find an enemy Pathfinder immediately around the corner of the building they had just checked. Not being able to pull out their weapon and line up their shots quick enough, FunkyJazzStuff was swiftly downed by their opponent in what must have been a frustrating sequence of events. Apex Legends community wants a buff Bloodhound is so far the only Legend in the game with the Tracker class, but it’s not really encouraging to use them after seeing FunkyJazzStuff’s video. The community instantly chimed in with their suggestions to best buff up Bloodhound to give them some kind of edge over the other Legends. “That scan is just comically bad,” Reddit user ‘Cephell’ said. “It should give a 180° coverage at least, be longer range and track enemies for 1-2 seconds. As it stands the few times I [got] a good track on a squad, it was actually a DETRIMENT as the afterimages fucked with my perception of where the enemy is and got me killed.” Bloodhound’s tracking abilities make them a great addition to any squad, but the community feels there needs to be some kind of fix for their kit that doesn’t seem to work as intended.

  • Which Apex Legends characters are best? Ultimate Season Two tier list – Dexerto

Which Apex Legends characters are best? Ultimate Season Two tier list One of the most important aspects when attempting to win an Apex Legends match is making sure you pick the right character, but with Season 2 offering 10 different Legends, it can prove tricky. If you’re struggling, our comprehensive tier list should help to point you in the right direction. While Apex Legends may just be another battle royale game on the market, the thing that sets it apart from other titles is the Legends, characters with specific traits and skills that can give you an advantage over your opponents – or cost you wins if you are choosing weaker characters. That’s why picking the strongest Legend you can is so important, and with the game now officially released for over seven months, there’s a pretty clear tier list that should set you up for victory and help you become Apex Champion. This list has been divided into four tiers – S, A, B, C – and will be ranked from best to worst, so keep an eye out for who we believe are the strongest Legends, and the ones you probably should try and avoid using. S Tier Lifeline Apex Legends is all about teamwork, and that makes Lifeline a must-have weapon in your team of three if you hope to make it all the way to the end of a match and claim a victory over your enemies. Lifeline’s D.O.C Heal Drone allows her to call in a robot that will heal nearby teammates, which means you don’t need to use healing items to boost yourself up, when she could heal the whole team in seconds. If the drone isn’t available, her passive ability Combat Medic lets you use those precious healing tools 25% faster, while her Care Package Ultimate sees a pod drop out of the sky and into your patch, full of shields and defensive gear to help you tool up to take on any adversaries. Bangalore Survival is the name of the game in Apex Legends, and Bangalore is the perfect character to get you out of sticky situations. Her Smoke Launcher tactical ability is perfect for giving you and your team a wall of protection, blocking off sightlines and allow your squad time to regroup, or make a quick exit, which is where her passive Double Time ability – which gives you a movement boost while taking fire – comes in perfectly. Finally, Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder Ultimate which drops artillery on opponents gives her a dangerous move that can deal tons of damage to multiple players at one time, making her an excellent all-rounder. A Tier Wraith Wraith’s abilities can be a little trickier to master, but if you can get to grips with her skillset, she can be a hugely valuable part of your team’s composition. Her tactical ability Into the Void allows her to reposition herself mid-fight without taking any damage, while her Dimensional Rift ultimate creates a portal which can help get your whole team out of trouble – or set up a clever ambush. Octane An all-action Legend, Octane is perfect for players who intend to take the fight to their opponents, or make a quick getaway should things go wrong in the heat of battle. The Adrenaline Junkie’s passive ability Swift Mend restores health points over time, but you can exchange those for a 30% speed boost with the use of Stim. Octane’s ultimate sees him throw down a Launch Pad, which can be used to blast yourself towards enemies, or soar away from them depending on the situation. Bloodhound Bloodhound is another useful legend, and perfect for those who want to hunt down enemies before eliminating them from the game. Eye of the Allfather highlights hidden enemies and traps to give you the best information possible before you engage, Tracker will highlight their footprints and show you where they went, and their ultimate ability Beast of the Hunt enhances your movement speed while also highlighting enemies hidden around King’s Canyon. B Tier Pathfinder Pathfinder’s abilities are fun to use, but are not always useful to the team as a whole, mich means the friendly robot finds itself lower down the list than many may expect. The Zipline Ultimate ability is useful to allow your teammates to zoom from one place to the other, but the Grappling Hook can only be used by Pathfinder, meaning it’s not particularly useful if your teammates are in trouble. Mirage Mirage’s abilities are fun, but the situational nature of them mean it isn’t always possible to use them properly, which means Mirage isn’t always the best pick for players looking for wins. Deception is the name of the game for Mirage, with Psyche Out and Encorce both sending out decoys depending on whether you are downed or not, while Vanishing Act sends out a squad of Mirage lookalikes to confuse opponents. C-Tier Gibraltar The closest thing to a tank in Apex Legends, Gibraltar can defend himself while firing his weapon using his Gun Shield, or his whole squad with his Dome of Protection. He, too, can rain down artillery on opponents with Defensive Bombardment, but he just doesn’t offer as much as the other Legends, and is probably worth avoiding. Caustic Cuastic’s use of poisonous gases with his Nox Gas Grenade and Traps sounds great in theory, but in the heat of the moment, don’t stack up against the other Legends, making him a weak choice. Wattson Wattson may be the newest Legend to the game, but Respawn Entertainment didn’t give her incredibly powerful abilities to introduce her to the game with a bang. The master of electricity doesn’t do much in terms of straight-up damage, but her Perimeter Security ability can block lanes used by enemies, while her Interception Pylon will protect you from grenades and other throwable items – as long as you stick close to it.

  • The Ultimate Apex Legends Legacy Season 9 guide – Dexerto

The Ultimate Apex Legends Legacy Season 9 guide Respawn EntertainmentIf you’re looking to hit the ground running in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, with the new legend Valkyrie, Arenas mode, the Bocek Bow and more – you’re in the right place. Apex Legends underwent a major content overhaul on May 4, as developers shook up the meta with a boatload of buffs and nerfs for the legends, as well as weapons. Speaking of weapons, firing a Bocek Bow is something brand new for the community, so there’s a lot to learn in Legacy. With a new 3v3 Arenas mode, Apex Legends has added a bit of math to the game as well. Knowing how to get the most materials, what to spend your money on, and which guns work best will take time for every player to figure out. This guide, though, will help speed up the learning curve for not just Arenas but all of the new content as well – from the Battle Pass to best weapons. How to play Valkyrie Tips to master Valkyrie in Apex Legends The game’s newest legend is, of course, Valkyrie. She likes to take to the skies and certainly has a very different set of abilities to her opponents in the Apex Games. Last season, Fuse came bursting onto the scene with fire and fury, but this one is all about that flying life. Jetpack? You bet. Here’s a description of her abilities: Passive: VTOL Jets – Press Jump while in the air to engage jetpack. You can switch between hold and toggle in the options menu. – Tactical: Missile Swarm – Fire a swarm of mini-rockets which damage and disorient the enemy. – Ultimate: Skyward Dive – Press once to prepare for launch. Teammates can interact with Valkyrie to join the launch. Press again to launch into the air and skydive. – Bocek Bow Here’s one that may take a bit of getting used to, the Bocek Bow. Just like the bow Epic Games introduced in Fortnite, there’s so many factors that can impact your success or failure using this weapon. It takes time to read the distance it can be effective from and how much the bullet dips, but the Hop-Ups it uses are very easy to get to grips with. Bocek Bow Hop-Ups Deadeyes Tempo: Firing in an indicated pattern will increase the bow’s fire rate – Shatter Caps: Rounds split into a blast pattern upon firing – How these look in-game: The Deadeye’s Tempo hop-up will increase fire rate if you fire during the sweet spot. Check out the difference here. It’s easy in Firing Range, not so easy in game! 😬 pic.twitter.com/fb13PVZ1DF — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) April 29, 2021 From there, you’ll need to know how much damage this thing is capable of, before deciding to make it one of your go-to weapons in Apex. Check out our full guide for everything you need to know about the new weapon. Arenas Arenas shop guide – Best weapons, abilities & heals to buy How it works – rules Unlike battle royale mode, in Arenas your squad will all arrive in the starting menu and then enter a shop. Here, you can purchase weapons, items and abilities with the materials you have collected. You will start with a set amount of crafting materials, as will teammates and enemies, and then based on performance (kills) you will earn more in-game. The more you earn, the better equipment you can buy from the shop. No bought gear follows between rounds, either. You can become a greater threat by upgrading your weapons, too, including attachments. There are no respawns, but there are revives, so taking people down once they’re knocked is more important than in battle royale. In the middle of each round, a supply drop will come in with three weapons. The rarity of these weapon drops also increases each round. The team that makes the most of those, and their purchased equipment, will be in a good position to be crowned the winner. The first team to score three victories with a two round margin are the champion. In the case of a 4-4 tie, it goes to sudden death. Starter weapons P2020 – Mozambique – How to get materials Round bonus: Increases each round – Kills: 75 materials – Canister: 200 materials – Legend buffs and nerfs Full breakdown of Season 9 legend buffs and nerfs Tracking legend buffs and nerfs are important if you would like to stay on top of the meta in Apex Legends. We’d like to think some players are out there still trying to play Pathfinder in the same way they used to, but that’s just one example where a legend drastically fell down the pecking order due to previous changes. In terms of tier lists, the robot fell off a cliff in Season 5. This season, however, here’s all the legends that were buffed and nerfed. Buffs Lifeline – Combat Revive revives two players at once, can cancel revives. D.O.C. Heal Drone heal rate increased, with faster deployment. Care Package cooldown reduced, and drops will give Lifeline upgrades adapted to her gear – Loba – Burglar’s Best Friend speed increase, bugs fixed – Fuse – Knuckle Cluster sees reduced cooldown and comes in two stacks – Crypto – Can open care packages with drone – Bangalore – Thicker smoke – Nerfs Octane – Reduced cooldown on Stim, but higher health cost. Increased bullet spread for low Launch Pad trajectory – Horizon – Abilities now zapped by Wattson pylons. Gravity Lift gets increased cooldown, slower lift speed, and reduced acceleration – Bloodhound – Minor nerf, but will no longer receive assists for Eye of the Allfather ability – Loba – Increased cooldown on Black Market Boutique – Weapon and loot pool changes Full breakdown of Season 9 weapon buffs and nerfs A number of changes have been implemented, including buffs for the Mozambique & P2020. Both the Hammerpoint and Skullpiercer hop ups have been vaulted in Season 9, replaced by Shatter Caps and Deadeye’s Tempo. The former can be used on the 30-30 Repeater and Bocek Bow, while the latter works for the Sentinel and Bocek Bow. Fully kitted out weapons For fully kitted out weapons, too, there’s been some changes to the rotation. Weapons added Wingman – Bocek – R99 – Hemlock – Sentinel – Battle Pass Full list of Apex Legends Season 9 Battle Pass tiers and rewards For many of us, starting a new season means grinding through the Battle Pass. With Legacy, there’s plenty of eye-catching rewards up for grabs. These all can be unlocked at different levels. New skins Level 1 – Octane, Mirage, Bangalore – Level 25 – Rampart – Level 50 – Wraith – Level 100 – Devotion – Level 110 – Devotion – Even if you don’t buy the battle pass, you can earn these items for free: Free rewards Valkyrie Character skin – 7 Apex Packs – 12 Weapon Skins – Legend Win Trackers – Music Pack – 300 Apex coins – Legacy pack with Valkyrie skin How to get Legacy Valkyrie skin pack On May 13, the Legacy starter pack will be available, which includes the Turquoise Sun Valkyrie skin and 600 Apex coins. Typically, these starter packs cost $4.99 and will be available from the digital store on your platform of choice. Good luck in Apex Legends Legacy, and hopefully after reading this guide you’ll be well equipped to dominate this season! • Ukrainian Apex Legends pro forced to play ALGS from hospital due to power cuts – Dexerto

Ukrainian Apex Legends pro forced to play ALGS from hospital due to power cuts Respawn Entertainment/NAVINAVI Apex Legends pro Oleksander ‘Sanya’ Bokuchava is going to play his EMEA ALGS matches from a hospital due to the power cuts in Ukraine. Apex Legends’ ALGS pits the best players from around the world against each other and allows them to compete for huge amounts of money. For the majority of pros, their main focus between matches is developing new strategies and improving their skills in the Outlands. However, for members of Ukrainian esports organization NAVI, there are extremely difficult challenges outside of the game that they’re facing on account of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. One of the members of their Apex team, Sanya, has revealed that he’ll be playing his next ALGS matches from a hospital due to constant power cuts at home. NAVI Apex pro Sanya forced to play ALGS from hospital Frequent power cuts throughout Ukraine have forced NAVI pro Sanya to move to a hospital to play in the ALGS. Although he is not injured, the talented player is heading there for his EMEA matches as “there is a higher chance for it to have electricity compared to at home”. While it’s sad that a pro has to go to these lengths in order to compete, it shows massive strength in character and a determination to carry on, no matter what. After seeing the tweet, some users took the time to wish Sanya luck in his matches and said they hope “things will be better soon”.

  • Two ways Octane needs to be buffed in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Two ways Octane needs to be buffed in Apex Legends An Apex Legends player who believes Octane is too slow has designed two major buffs to speed him up, and make him the game’s quickest character. For many Apex Legends players, the word ‘speed’ brings one man to mind. Octane, the nickname of adrenaline junkie Octavio Silva, who’s bionic legs carry him around World’s End at lightning pace as he tries to secure victory in the Apex Games. In reality though, Pathfinder is actually the quickest legend, something which doesn’t sit well with Reddit user NizzyDeniro, who has created a number of buffs for the character’s abilities designed to him him a boost and make him the true speed demon of Apex Legends. “Octane is a good character,” they write. “He just doesn’t do what he was made for that well. He’s supposed to be the king of flanking but he’s not even that, whereas Pathfinder is a flanking God.” To solve the issue, NizzyDeniro has proposed changes to all three of Octane’s abilities, starting with his Stim ability, which he would like to see offer him a 40% speed increase rather than 30%, raising the cooldown time to three seconds. The major changes would come to Passive and Ultimate abilities though. His new Passive would be Run Gunner, allowing him to run with his weapon drawn without taking any decrease in movement speed, while NizzyDeniro calls for more “horizontal and landing control” when using the Jump Pad, and no stagger once he lands back down to earth after his jump. While NizzyDeniro signed off their call for changes with an acceptance that he may not receive support, many in the comments immediately backed the changes, saying they were necessary and a good idea. One commentator wrote that they “need this” to happen, with others saying that he definitely needs a buff. Whether Respawn Entertainment will move to boost Octane’s abilities and give him a fighting chance against Pathfinder remains to be seen, but it appears that many players would welcome the changes if they were introduced.

  • Two simple changes to Octane would be the perfect buff in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Two simple changes to Octane would be the perfect buff in Apex Legends RespawnApex Legends’ adrenaline junkie has often just slightly underpowered to many players, and so fans have provided two simple improvements that would really help the speedster shine. Octane was added to the game way back in Season 1, and has quickly become a fan-favorite character thanks to his unique speed boosting ability and quirky voice-lines. However, quite a few Legends are considered to be better than him now, and fans have complained that he could use some buffs to make him more viable. Many different ideas have circulated around the community, but one user has suggested some very simple yet effective changes. Reddit user Zzach_in_the_trap shared his ideas on Feb 18, with other Apex fans loving the suggestions. The two suggested improvements to Octane are that he should not flinch when landing from a high fall, and that his passive should heal him faster with a gold helm or body shield. Both ideas make sense for his character, and are not huge, meta-changing buffs, making them a good choice to give the Legend a slight boost. By not flinching after landing he would be able to really live up to his speedster background and it would promote a faster pace, and different playstyle by using high drops to the player’s advantage. Meanwhile, improving his passive with a gold helm or body shield would allow players to be a bit quicker, not having to slow down for heals once they have found the rare items. This would once again fit the character’s theme of never slowing down. Both changes aren’t game-changing either – he’d still take the same number of shots to kill and deal the same damage, but could get a new tactical edge, and, of course, go fast. Many others agreed with the suggestions, even adding little details like suggesting that Octane should do a barrel roll when landing, or just voicing support with comments like “Please octane buff. The boy needs it bad.” Respawn have not commented on the matter, but Apex fans will no doubt be looking forward to the next patch to shake things up.

  • Apex Legends leaks reveal two powerful new weapons – Dexerto

Apex Legends leaks reveal two powerful new weapons Data miners for Apex Legends have discovered and leaked the names, damage stats, and attachments for two brand new weapons that are apparently coming soon to the game. According to the leaks, which come courtesy of a website called Rez, the two new weapons will be an energy rifle called HAVOC and a light machine gun called L-STAR EMG. The HAVOC rifle will inflict 18 points of damage to the body and 36 points to the head, while maintaining a pretty balanced profile in terms of damage, rate of fire, range, and accuracy. The HAVOC will also sport two firing modes – an automatic mode at 672 rounds per minute and a single shot mode at 102 RPM. Predictably, the L-STAR EMG will pack a bigger punch than the HAVOC, doing 21 damage to the body and 42 points to the head. It will sport a relatively low rate of fire and accuracy but will maintain good accuracy at long range. Here are some of the noteworthy leaked details about both of the new weapons, such as the ammo clip size, reload time, fire rate, headshot distance, and more. For the more minute and specific details about these weapons and how they work, you can check out the dedicated pages for the Havoc and L-STAR EMG on the Rez website. Selectfire Receivers enable a fire select option that allows players to choose what kind of fire mode they want on their weapon. The Turbocharger reduces the autofire spin-up time for weapons its attached too. The HAVOC will also be compatible with six different optical sights and three different stocks. Unfortunately, the attachment capabilities for the L-STAR EMG have not yet been leaked. While these stats look impressive, players will not really know how dangerous they really are until they are actually added in game. Making sure you have the right gear when heading into battle on Apex Legends is a crucial key for players who are hoping to pick up a win, which means making some tough choices when picking up weapons you find scattered across King’s Canyon. If you’re having a tough time figuring out what weapons you need to be running while hunting for victories, check out our handy Apex Legends weapons guide, which breaks down everything from attachments to each gun’s individual damage statistics! https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/apex-legends-best-guns-where-find-352210Of course, it’s important to view all of this information as pure speculation until the new weapons are officially confirmed by Respawn Entertainment. If they are indeed to be added to the game, it would be interesting to see how players will be able to unlock and/or obtain them in-game. While no release date for these weapons has been leaked, it would seem likely that they would be added along with the Season 1 Battle Pass that is coming in March.

  • Two essential Apex Legends tips every Crypto main should master – Dexerto

Two essential Apex Legends tips every Crypto main should master Respawn EntertainmentCrypto might not be one of the meta legends in Apex Legends for Season 7, but there’s two handy tricks that will certainly help those who decide to main him get the best out of the Surveillance Expert. Any player can learn how to play one of fifteen Legends available to choose in Apex. However, to truly master a Legend you need to know the character inside-out. There’s no better way of developing your knowledge of a Legend than taking advice from players who have committed hundreds of hours to learn their strengths and weaknesses. For Crypto mains, a video posted to Reddit has revealed a few details that will definitely help take the character to the next level. Two tricks every Crypto main should know In a video posted to the Apex University subreddit, user EhWhateverOk uncovers two essential tips for mastering the Legend. Although the tricks seem simple, it’s surprising how few Crypto players use them to their advantage. Earlier in the season, members of the community were using his drone to make a flying Rampart minigun, before it was patched. Now, players can hold down the tactical button to place down the drone without entering drone view – which puts you at a real advantage. This allows you to place down your drone in heated gunfights without putting yourself at risk to enemies. A common mistake made by Crypto players is getting separated from their team due to using his drone view at the wrong time. This tip allows players to place down Crypto’s drone without the risk of isolating themselves from their team, or leaving him vulnerable. Simply fly the drone high enough so the spherical hit radius only hits the enemy team and not you. This is a tip that is so obvious, but not all will know it’s possible to use their ultimate when in close quarters with enemies. Often, Crypto mains will use their ultimate and hit themselves with the radius. As seen in the video, to reduce the hitbox, players will need to fly the drone high enough so only the bottom of the spherical hit radius is used. Although EhWhateverOk’s video only contains two tips, they’re both incredibly useful to know.

Apex Legends Season 2 cinematic trailer Both leaked videos seem to share the same narrative, showing the damage of the Apex Legends map following the arrival of Leviathans, dragons, and flyers. “Beasts have one again taken their native place on the island,” is one of the most telling quotes from the trailers, as one of the map’s biggest towers comes crashing down. But, there’s much more than that to explore. Take a look yourself below. • Two of Apex Legends highest-ranked players banned for cheating – Dexerto

Two of Apex Legends highest-ranked players banned for cheating Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has dropped the ban hammer on two of Apex Legends’ highest-ranked players, after a handful of professional players made complaints to the security team. [jwplayer vP8vm9zZ] Despite a constant and never-ending effort to stamp out cheaters in Apex, they are still all-too-common at even the highest ranks. There have been a couple of names that the community has had their eye on for some time now, and it appears they have finally been quashed, thanks once again to Respawn’s security lead Conor Ford, aka Hideouts. These players were among the top 10 in the global rankings for Ranked mode in Apex Legends, clearly ruining the experience for other, legitimate players. Top Apex Predators banned On January 22, Hideouts posted a simple but effective message: his trusty ban hammer x2. It didn’t take long for the community to identify one of the culprits as ‘invulnerableFPS’ – who had played under other pseudonyms in previous ranked seasons. Read More: Ultimate Apex Legends quiz – TSM pro and Halo legend Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona was happy to see the player whom they had suspected of cheating finally get their deserved punishment. LOL turns out @invulnerableFPS got banned AGAIN! Absolutely pathetic man, anyone who was defending these guys who have been caught before will be dead silent now I’m sure, now how about the accomplices?? Justice has been served! — FaZe Snip3down (@Snip3down) January 22, 2021 With the ban, these players are now removed from the ranked leaderboards, allowing legitimate players to get their proper ranking. Apex Tracker, a website that keeps track of the highest-ranked players through an API, confirmed the bans with a Respawn rep, updating the standings accordingly. We’re aware of bans that have just been enforced on certain high ranking players. A Respawn rep has confirmed direct w/ us also (thank you) We’re not in the business of naming names unless it’s in a positive manor; just let it be known we’re aware of the ‘issue’ lets say. — Apex Tracker (@Apex_Tracker) January 23, 2021 Although these bans are welcomed and are a positive step, cheating is an issue that remains pervasive at all levels of Apex Legends. • Twitch streamer caught aimbotting on Apex Legends remains unbanned – Dexerto

Twitch streamer caught aimbotting on Apex Legends remains unbanned A partnered Twitch streamer has been called out for aim-botting in Apex Legends. Hacking is an unfortunate but inevitable element of any game of even the slightest popularity, particularly in multiplayer first-person shooters. It’s unsurprising, then, that Apex Legends, which hit 25 million players in record time, is already seeing players trying to exploit cheats in the game. One Twitch streamer, Dharyxd, has become the first player of note to be accused of exploits, with viewers calling him out for “blatant” aim-botting in the new battle royale game. While Dhary was playing Apex, viewers noticed multiple instances in which his aim appeared to lock onto a target and track their movement perfectly. Dhary has since deleted all of his recent VoDs, but not before the clips were captured. Having been alerted to the suspicious clips, Respawn Entertainment’s Community Coordinator confirmed that the developer was “on it”, although no further response to the apparent cheating has been publicly announced yet. After viewers noticed the suspicious play in Apex, they also started looking for unusual moments in Dhary’s other streams. While the streamer was playing PUBG, viewers caught several instances in which Dhary appeared to have too much information about the exact location of enemies, leading to accusations of wall-hacks in that game as well. Following the accusations of hacking, accounts were identified on cheat forums using the same username and profile picture that Dhary uses on Twitch. As yet, Dhary’s Twitch channel remains active. Hacking on stream is against Twitch’s terms of use, so if the platform investigates the matter and deems Dhary guilty of wall-hacking or aimbotting he will likely face a permanent ban.

  • Twitch stats show Fortnite reigns supreme over Apex Legends – Dexerto

Twitch stats show Fortnite reigns supreme over Apex Legends Epic Games/RespawnApex Legends remains one of the most popular games in the world but the game is slowly seeing its popularity on Fortnite. Over 50 million players have tried their hand at becoming an Apex Champion since Respawn Entertainment released their free-to-play battle royale on February 4. Popularity with players does translate into huge viewing figures on Twitch, as fans try to replicate what they’ve watched in their own games. However, the game’s popularity on the livestreaming platform has already begun to take a hit – falling behind its immediate rivals. According to numbers corroborated by The Esports Observer, the free-to-play battle royale has seen a drastic drop off in viewership since it’s release week. Viewers watched 31.7M hours watched in the game’s first week, but that number dropped below 10M hours in the week of March 18. The game blew away the majority of titles during the early going, having seven million more viewers than Fortnite at one point. However, in recent weeks, the game has slowly slipped behind Epic Games’ mega-popular title – with Fortnite almost doubling the number of concurrent viewers regularly since the end of February. Despite the decline, the concurrent viewing numbers for Apex have remained somewhat consistent at around 130 thousand viewers – with those number seeing a bump to around 150 thousand since the launch of Apex Legends Season one on March 19. Fortnite, however, regularly hits over 200 thousand. While Respawn’s title remains popular with players, the decline in numbers does have to do with some of Twitch’s names moving away from the game after a steady diet of playing Apex since it’s release. • TSM win Apex Legends Preseason Invitational tournament – Final placements – Dexerto

TSM win Apex Legends Preseason Invitational tournament – Final placements Respawn EntertainmentTSM have staked their claim to the crown of the best Apex Legends esports team in the world, winning their second major tournament with victory at the Preseason Invitational in Krakow, Poland. 80 of the world’s top Apex Legends squads all descended on the Polish city to take part in the popular battle royale title’s first truly international tournament, but it was the American squad of Team SoloMid who took home the victory after 11 gruelling rounds. For TSM, the Preseason Invitational provided an opportunity to win back-to-back tournaments, after nabbing X-Games gold medals at August’s EXP Invitational. Teams were awarded points throughout the final day based on performance, eliminations, and final placements, with any team who secured 50 points declared to be on “match point,” meaning a victory in King’s Canyon would see them crowned as winners. TSM hit the 50 point threshold after the fifth match of the 11-game series, but impressive runs from Na’Vi and unsigned Russian trio 789 put both teams in contention as well. It took the Americans until the final match of the day to finally secure their victory, and get their hands on the Preseason Invitational trophy. In fact, a total of nine teams found themselves with the 50 points required to win the competition, but an excellent run saw TSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen, Mac ‘Albralelie’ Kenzie Beckwith and Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe all stand tall in the final circle at Wetlands, and find the required kills to win the tournament. Tonight, history was made. • TSM tease Apex Legends fans with epic Legend skins ahead of Season 15 – Dexerto

TSM tease Apex Legends fans with epic Legend skins ahead of Season 15 Apex LegendsEsports organization TSM FTX took to Twitter to tease fans with mock-up skins for Apex Legends ahead of Season 15 ever-approaching launch. Apex Legends fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, as ALGS’ preseason qualifiers are in full swing and Season 15 is on the horizon. Plenty of professional teams are undoubtedly gearing up for ALGS, such as TSM who recently hosted the TSMFTX Apex Legends Invitational. Now, TSM has teased Apex fans with some sleek mock-up skins used for the Invitational’s promotional art, possibly hinting that they may be officially coming to the game. TSM teases Apex Legends themed skins The tease comes from the official TSM FTX Twitter account, which showed a render featuring TSM-themed black and white skins for various Legends. In reality, all the skins are simply palette swaps of existing Legendary skins, like Octane’s Sonic Boom skin and Seer’s Envious Attitude skin. Still, white and black skins with bright red accents are certainly stylish and would likely be a welcome addition to the game by TSM fans. “We’ve been waiting for this forever,” said Twitter user Auscii. I’d [buy] the whole set hands down.” We’ve been waiting for this forever! I’d but the whole set hands down — Auscii (@Auscii8) October 14, 2022 This wouldn’t be the first time skins based on pro Apex Legends were added to the game. In fact, in July of 2022 Respawn added various skin recolors based on teams like TSM, 100 Thieves, and Team Liquid in celebration of the ALGS Year 2 Championship. While not every one of TSM’s proposed skins could make it into the game, there’s still a chance one may get it if recent leaks are to be believed. According to Apex Legends leaker KralRidno, Respawn is planning to add more themed skins ahead of ALGS, with a skin closely resembling Octane’s TSM shown off in the leak. While these leaks are still unconfirmed as of the time of writing, fans looking forward to supporting TSM with a stylish Octane skin may just be in luck.

  • TSM signs Japanese Apex Legends streamer Shibuya Hal – Dexerto

TSM signs Japanese Apex Legends streamer Shibuya Hal YouTube: Shibuya HalTSM have added another Hal to their stable of Apex Legends players and content creators, signing Japanese streaming sensation Shibuya Hal. Just like many of its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends has also helped foster a massive community of content creators who make videos and stream their matches to thousands of fans. One of the biggest, at least recently, has come in the form of Shibuya Hal – a Japanese VTuber who has racked up close to 1 million subscribers on YouTube, while also having a massive following across both Twitch and Twitter as well. On April 25, the VTuber teased fans that he had, at long last, joined an organization to work alongside and has since confirmed that he’ll be joining TSM – but don’t expect him to take ImperialHal’s spot anytime soon. Shibuya Hal joins TSM The North American org confirmed the signing on April 26, welcoming the uber-popular VTuber to their ranks with a montage of some of his craziest highlight plays and wins. “One Hal was good, but how about two?” TSM said, with ImperialHal also welcoming his namesake to the team, adding: “Welcome to TSM, brother.” 1人のハルじゃ物足りない 👀 @TSM_JP One Hal was good, but how about two? Please welcome @ShibuyaHAL to the #TSM family 🇯🇵🤍 pic.twitter.com/gsrlSd79KC — TSM (@TSM) April 26, 2022 The VTuber had a simple “thank you” message for the org and his fans, and even got an updated version of his VTuber model wearing the TSM jersey and colors. The content creator, who streams across both Twitch and YouTube, is TSM’s first signing outside of North America for Apex content, joining the likes of Daltoosh, Noko, and Albralelie. He’s already expressed his desire to work alongside his few content creators in the future, so we’ll just have to wait for them to link up and start picking up wins in Apex.

  • TSM signs all-women Apex Legends pro team – Dexerto

TSM signs all-women Apex Legends pro team TSMTSM has announced that the organization is adding another Apex Legends team, this time an all-women’s roster filled with content creators. In an announcement video filled with animations, Discord messages and pro gameplay, TSM revealed that it has signed four women Apex Legends players as content creators and professional competitors. The new additions consist of Laurice ‘GuhRL’ Habibi, Isabella ‘Avuhlie’ Rivera, Kornelia ‘Sabz’ Zawistowska and Jane ‘Janey.’ The reveal was met with some confusion from fans as only three players are needed in a competitive Apex Legends team and some of the players have content creator and pro player in their Twitter bios. TSM’s Vice President of Esports Operations, Dominic Kallas, clarified the hybrid setup to Apex Legends reporter Cutnoid, saying the new players will play together in creator events but can compete separately if they wish. “Similar to how Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is signed to FaZe but plays with Tripods in ALGS,” Kallas said. “Lots of flexibility for everyone, and we will be highlighting each individual’s path.” Kallas also said that for Celestial Cups, Janey, Sabz and Avuh will likely play together. But, for Apex Legends Global Series qualifiers Sabz will compete in Europe and Avuh and Gurl will have to look to build their own North American roster. TSM add another Apex Legends team The new TSM members will join three other pro players under the esports organization’s banner. TSM has fielded an Apex Legends roster since 2019 and has one of the more popular players in the scene in Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen. The team placed first in Split 1 of the North American ALGS league and qualified for the Playoffs taking place in London in February. TSM also signed another content creator in the Battle Royale title in Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek on January 26. While other organizations have stepped away from the Respawn esport in 2023, TSM seems to be doubling down on the competitive title with these recent investments.

  • TSM Reps slams Apex Legends’ Digital Threat meta during ALGS – Dexerto

TSM Reps slams Apex Legends’ Digital Threat meta during ALGS Respawn Entertainment / TSMPro Apex Legends player TSM Reps revealed his frustration with the Digital Threat sight and how playing against a team with Digi Threats is “impossible to win.” Apex Legends’ ALGS 2023 Championship has come to a close, with TSM coming out on top and taking home the trophy. Team members TSM ImperialHal, Reps, and Verhulst beat out strong showings from competitors like OpTic Gaming, BLVKHVND, and orgless teams like The Dojo. However, the victory did not come easy to TSM, with Reps pointing out how difficult it was for the crew to overcome the current Digital Threat meta in the leadup to the Finals. TSM Reps voices frustration at Apex Legends’ Digital Threat meta In an interview with esports.gg ahead of the ALGS Finals, TSM Reps explained why the team struggled during Day 2, citing frustrations with Digital Threat meta. “It was us beating ourselves. I think we came in with a lack of energy,” the pro player explained. However, he did note that luck wasn’t on TSM’s side during that set. “We also got a little unlucky with crafters, not having Digital Threat in the crafter, we didn’t get a single one.” TSM Reps circled back to this point later in the interview when asked how he feels about the current balance and meta in Apex. Here, Reps made his frustrations known loud and clear. “I don’t really like the balance right now,” he said. “I think… I really don’t like Digital Threats. And everybody’s running Bangalore, and then if you get a crafter you have Digi in the crafter, you’re just so much stronger than every other team in the game.” Bangalore saw a massive amount of play during ALGS 2023, thanks to the usefulness of her tactical Smoke Launcher. Though as Reps explained, Digi Threats really kneecap that ability provided teams are lucky enough to find them. Reps goes on to explain that, “If you have three Digis versus a team with none, you actually don’t stand a chance in the fight. It’s basically impossible to win the fight.” With Apex Legends’ Resurgence season coming to a close in late October, Respawn may take these criticisms to heart, especially coming from one of the 2023 ALGS Champs.

  • TSM on the lookout for sub player to complete ALGS Championship Apex roster – Dexerto

TSM on the lookout for sub player to complete ALGS Championship Apex roster Joe Brady/ ALGSTSM has announced that they are looking for an emergency sub for the ALGS Championship as one of their players has been hit with medical issues. TSM’s strategic coach for Apex Legends, raven, put the call out for an emergency substitute player for the ALGS Championship on August 16. The tournament itself is set to start on September 9, so the team has plenty of time to find a player and potentially integrate them into the lineup if needed. “Need an emergency sub for LAN that every team is required to have. Someone who is going to be at Champs. DM me,” raven said on social media. TSM is one of the favorites to lift the trophy at the event, having qualified off of playoff points and winning the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs back in February of this year. The team also placed second at the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs in June. TSM Apex Legends squad looking for substitute The call for an emergency substitute for the event comes after TSM’s Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe revealed on social media that he was dealing with “extreme pain” in his back. Reps said he went to an urgent care facility to find a solution, where they gave him something to ease his pain and apparent spasms. He said the medicine makes him “tired af,” but he also explained he is feeling much better. When asked if Reps is alright in response to his calls for a substitute player, Raven said that the player is “taking it easy” at the moment. Every team at the ALGS Championship is required to have a substitute player lined up in the event of emergencies like Reps’ or in case players fail to obtain a visa to compete in time. The latter has been an issue for ALGS international LAN events as multiple teams have had to field emergency substitutes due to travel restrictions or visa problems. TSM is coming into the ALGS Championship as the top North American team, having placed sixth in the Split 2 Pro League regular season and their top two placements at the last two international tournaments. Without Reps in the lineup, however, they could lose their status as favorites at the event.

  • TSM Myth explains what Apex Legends is doing wrong with content – Dexerto

TSM Myth explains what Apex Legends is doing wrong with content Instagram: TSM Myth/EATSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani has given his thoughts on Apex Legends’ method of distributing content, suggesting that they are at risk of ‘burning bridges’ with the community. Fans critique Apex for lack of content Respawn Entertainment’s FPS battle royale was released on February 4, and has seemingly gone from strength to strength since its release, even hitting 50 million players faster than Fortnite did. However, it came under fire for a lack of new content, to the point where the CEO of Respawn, Vince Zampella, has publicly acknowledged the game’s issues with dispensing new content. Myth, one of the battle royale community’s most prominent voices, has lent his opinion on what the game could be doing better. TSM Myth’s ‘thoughts’ on Apex Legends content On April 24, the Twitch star echoed Zampella’s defence of Respawn, arguing that “pushing out content for the sake of pushing out content is unhealthy.” However, Myth also warned that dragging out the release of new content over an “extreme” period of time will be detrimental to the game’s success. Apex Legends has already seen a stagnation in its Twitch viewing figures, as it fails to keep up with the ever popular Fortnite Battle Royale. He went on to state that gaming communities these days have “dangerous expectations that if not met, can burn bridges VERY fast”, and that he doesn’t think Apex needs huge updates, just large enough and frequent enough to keep the player base engaged. Can burn bridges VERY fast with your community. I think Apex doesn’t need to do HUGE content updates like they might think they do, but even just a few small things once every 3-4 weeks to keep players engaged wouldn’t hurt. Content doesn’t need to be a new item or hero. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) April 24, 2019 He finishes his point by arguing that any new content “doesn’t need to be a new item or hero”. Myth’s concerns echo a vast portion of the Apex community, who are worried that the game is being neglected with a lack of new content. Many games, including Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, have tried to emulate Fortnite’s battle pass style of dispensing new DLC, implementing frequent updates to add new content and keep the games fresh and enjoyable. However, these have come with mixed results, as community members accuse game developers of hollow updates, and a lack of impressive new content as games struggle to keep up with the juggernaut of Epic Games’ behemoth.

  • TSM Mande explains why he’s quitting Apex Legends pro play for good – Dexerto

TSM Mande explains why he’s quitting Apex Legends pro play for good Respawn EntertainmentTSM streamer and Apex Legends pro player Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek has already decided to quit competitive play weeks after he unveiled plans to return. Mande hasn’t been involved in the pro Apex scene since the 2023 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs in early 2023, where he and his team Alliance placed fifth. Since then, the 25-year-old has turned to content creation, streaming full-time under the TSM banner. However, following ALGS Split 2 Finals, Mande announced his intentions to return to competitive Apex Legends. However, just weeks after his initial announcement, the former Apex Legends pro seems to have changed his mind. Mande walks back his commitment to Apex Legends pro play The Danish pro explained he was open to serious offers to play under an organization and was willing to do whatever was necessary to play at the highest level. “After watching this LAN I’ve come to the conclusion that I want to play comp again,” he wrote. “I will entertain serious offers only. I outwork every other pro player in the game and I put in the time and effort needed + more (yes I will stop playing path only). That is all thanks.” However, just a little under a month later, Mande has now decided to quit his pursuit of returning to pro play. In a recent livestream, he said: “No I already told people I’m not going to play pro. I already told the people I’m not gonna play pro. I’m done. I am done for now. I am not going to come back.” The pro-turned-streamer explained that he hates the feeling of needing to play every day to improve, which he says gives him a “headache” — and has no intention of returning unless the game sees some major changes. “The thing is I really want to play, but the direction the game is going, it’s really not fun for me,” he added. “I’d rather like sit here and have fun and troll around and sh*t like that than feel like I need to try and win and like improve every game when I don’t want to.” While Mande has no intentions of returning to pro play, it isn’t completely out of the equation. He explained that if a team needs a substitute player for a LAN tournament he’d consider the offer.

  • TSM ImperialHal pulls off genius Apex Legends clutch in ALGS final match – Dexerto

TSM ImperialHal pulls off genius Apex Legends clutch in ALGS final match Twitch: ImperialHal/RespawnTSM’s Apex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen clutched up with an absolutely genius play to secure a win for his team in the final ALGS game of Round 3, leaving fans and fellow players stunned. With each Apex Legends character having their own unique abilities, there is ample opportunity to rustle up some genius outplays and tactics in-game. Pair up Caustic and Horizon, for example, and you can concoct a devastating gas trap that is impossible to escape. Even at the casual level, there are some ridiculous combos of legends, but take a step up to the professional level and there are countless genius outplays in each tournament. Most of these center around Wraith, with players using her portal to ‘kidnap’ unsuspecting enemies and hand them over to their waiting teammates who rack up the kill. However, her portal can be used in different, as ImperialHal showed in one of the best clutch ups the ALGS has seen. Hal’s bit of genius came during the third week of North American ALGS pro league play, where his TSM squad had struggled to put some meaningful points on the board – finishing outside the top 10 in their first two games. Though, they rallied late. After finishing fourth in the penultimate game of the day, the TSM squad was in a position to pick up a win in the final game, but Hal was alone against two different squads. He hid for a few moments before taking to the high ground and watched as the two enemy squads got tangled up in a fight Instead of getting kill hungry, Hal let them fight it out before mowing down a Valkyrie who had gone hunting for him in the aftermath. From there, the circle closed on him, but he used Wraith’s ultimate to sneak into the zone and avoid damage. As the timer on his ability expired, the final enemy fell, giving him and his squad the win. https://twitter.com/ImperialHal/status/1454984384600174592 Hal’s moment of brilliance quickly impressed the event casters, viewers, and his fellow players, with some questioning just how he’d been able to keep his nerve at such a tense moment. As the ALGS continues, we’ll no doubt see some more brilliant plays, but Hal really threw it back to the early days of Apex with this one.

  • TSM ImperialHal highlights crucial Apex Legends change NICKMERCS needs to make – Dexerto

TSM ImperialHal highlights crucial Apex Legends change NICKMERCS needs to make In a short amount of time, Nick’ ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has risen to the top of Apex Legends, but pro player ImperialHal suggests one crucial change to Nick’s playstyle that would make him even better. As Warzone continues to suffer from its cheating problem, Apex Legends continues to flourish with many of the biggest Warzone content creators jumping ship in recent months. Among the many content creators to make the switch is NICKMERCS, who’s respectfully gotten pretty good at Apex Legends in the short amount of time he’s played, even though some believe he’s been carried up the ranks. Considered to be one of the best Apex Legends players, TSM pro Imperialhal suggested a crucial change to how the FaZe star plays Apex, which he believes would make him so much better at the game. By pure luck, NICKMERCS randomly encountered ImperialHal and his squad in Apex, and unsurprisingly, Nick got rolled by the pros. While it was a pretty one-sided fight, that didn’t stop NICMERCS from having some faith, as he believes if he had some more experience with Apex, stating he could have beat them. While some could believe this is a stretch on NICKMERCS’ end, claiming he could’ve beat literal pro players, ImperialHal didn’t necessarily disagree, but he did have some advice for the new player, saying “The only thing I don’t like… he needs to have a balance. I feel like right now, how Nick is playing, that he needs to push a lot more,” he said. “He’s just getting KP and camping out, instead of forcing fights and trying to get better. In situations like that when you have a good team pushing you, you’re just going to get rolled, because you don’t know how to fight back. It’s up to him how he’s going to play, but I think he should be a lot more aggressive.” With Nick loving the switch to Apex and suggesting that he might not return to Warzone just yet, he might have to take Hal’s advice on board. As he continues to get better, his next step could be to get involved with some tournaments but who knows if that’s even on Nick’s radar.

  • TSM deny Snip3down playing as emergency sub for rival team at ALGS Playoffs – Dexerto

TSM deny Snip3down playing as emergency sub for rival team at ALGS Playoffs HCSTSM denied Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona from playing as an emergency substitute for another team at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, according to the player. Snip3down was denied the chance to play for a team at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs by TSM as the organization locked him down as their own substitute for the tournament. The event has been plagued by visa issues as multiple teams have had to either field substitutes or drop out of the event entirely. Snip3down has been competing for FaZe Clan since his return to Apex Legends esports, but his team failed to qualify for the event so TSM picked him up as a substitute in case one of its players returned a positive test. TSM stop Snip3down from subbing for another team The FaZe player announced on Twitter that TSM had told him he could not sub for another team. “I’m not digging on them for this, it’s their call, I’m just posting because it was obviously exciting to have a chance to play on LAN,” Snip3down said. He further explained that TSM still wanted him with the team in the chance that one of its players cannot compete. The veteran esports competitor left Apex Legends esports in 2021 to pursue a career in Halo but returned to the battle royale in October 2022. Since his return to Apex Legends, Snip3down has played in 13 events for FaZe Clan and helped the team to a 20th-place finish in the North American ALGS 2022 Split 1 Pro League. The ALGS major event starts on February 2 and ends on February 5 as some of the best teams in the world battle for a shot at the $300,000 top prize.

  • TSM Albralelie responds to hate for ‘quitting’ Liquid to join Cloud9 Apex Legends – Dexerto

TSM Albralelie responds to hate for ‘quitting’ Liquid to join Cloud9 Apex Legends EAApex Legends star Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith hit back at some of the hate he’s been getting for ‘quitting’ on Team Liquid, seemingly retiring from competition, and then joining Cloud9’s roster. There have been a handful of stars to come out of the burgeoning Apex Legends esports scene, including Albralelie who has become synonymous with highlight plays on Octane. The 20-year-old sprung to stardom as a part of TSM’s talented roster, before being dropped, and over the last few months, he’s found himself dipping in and out of competitive action. He left TSM’s roster to pursue Valorant, but returned to the org as a content creator. He jumped back into competitive play as a stand-in for Team Liquid but ultimately left the roster, with some fans believing he flat-out quit on the team. Now, Albralelie is returning to action once again as a part of Cloud9’s stacked squad, and has come under fire for returning to play not long after it seemed like he was retiring for good. Cloud9 has also faced criticism for dropping Knoqd, despite a stellar performance at the ALGS Championship. However, Albralelie has quickly responded to the criticism directed his way. “For the sake of clearing my name as a quitter because I hate how the general community has labeled me as someone that “retires and comes back.” The first time I quit, was not my choice,” Beckwith tweeted shortly after the move.” Hal and Jordan made that decision for me because I wasn’t enjoying the game. I was dropped.” The Octane main followed that up saying he’s not someone who “freely quits” and that his exit from Liquid was the first time he’d actually quit on his accord instead of being pushed. I don’t hate them, I wish I was given time to prove myself before it happened, but i dont hate them. I’m not someone that just quits freely, TL is the first team I EVER quit on my own and I refuse to let it happen again. I love my old team mates, but we don’t work well in comp. — TSMFTX Albralelie (@TSM_Albralelie) June 25, 2021 He wasn’t finished there, though, noting that the backlash has given him motivation now. “Expect nothing but the best from me with the c9 boys, a fire has been lit under my ass and I’m shooting for nothing but the top to prove all the mouth-breathing s**t talkers wrong,” he added. “We should’ve been honest with you guys off the rip, but honestly I was ashamed of getting dropped. Now I don’t care anymore, all I care about is winning which I WILL do regardless of what roster I’m on.” We should’ve been honest with you guys off the rip, but honestly i was ashamed of getting dropped. Now I don’t care anymore, all i care about is winning which i WILL do regardless of what roster i’m on. When i’m back in full force, expect a different attitude and player. — TSMFTX Albralelie (@TSM_Albralelie) June 25, 2021 Beckwith promised fans that they’d see a “different attitude and player” once he returns to action. They’ll be eager to see how the Cloud9 roster works now with him as a part of it and if he can deliver on his promise of success. Meanwhile, fans are still sympathetic to Knoqd, who it seems is now in search of a new team.

  • How to master the Triple Take in Apex Legends: tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto

How to master the Triple Take in Apex Legends: tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn Entertainment / DexertoWant to try out Apex Legends’ Triple Take now that it’s back on the ground in Season 11? We’ve got the ultimate guide to the Energy Marksman Rifle, including tips, damage stats, and more so you can snipe enemies down from afar. It’s not called the “shotgun sniper” for nothing. The Triple Take is a marksman rifle that excels in close-quarters combat, although it’s still decently handy at range too. After being thrown into the Care Package in Season 10, it’s back on the ground in Season 11 — with the G7 Scout taking its place. It’s vastly different now too, having been reverted back to an Energy gun instead of a Sniper. However, it still functions the same, just with a bit less range. If you want to get good with the Triple Take, we’ve got all the tips and tricks you need to know right here. Apex Legends Triple Take damage stats While the Triple Take does a lot of damage, one thing players have to consider is that it’s split across three projectiles. That means if only one or two connect with a target, you’ll be doing considerably less DPS. Read More: How to master Octane in Apex Legends – However, the marksman rifle makes up for it with a fire rate of 78 RPM, which can really benefit you in short-range fights (more on that later). You will want to charge it between shots to maximize its accuracy with the choke, but you can quickly fire if needed. The full damage breakdown for the Triple Take can be found here: Triple Take attachments The Triple Take takes most of the Marksman attachments in Apex Legends. You’ll be able to equip Extended Energy Magazines, Sniper Stocks, and of course, Optics. When it comes to Extended Magazines and Sniper Stocks; the rarer, the better. Golden Energy Mags are great for making sure your Triple Take is stocked up while fighting with your secondary, and Purple Sniper Stocks help reduce ADS time and aim drift. However, for sights, they come down to personal preference. The 2x-4x Variable ACOG is a very popular choice due to its power in both short and long range fights. You can opt for the static 2x or 3x HCOGs too, but it does impact the gun’s flexibility (which is the Triple Take’s biggest strength). Here’s all the attachments you can pick up for the Triple Take: Extended Energy Magazines Common: 18 rounds – Rare: 21 rounds – Epic: 24 rounds – Legendary: 27 rounds – Sniper Stock Common – Rare – Epic – Optics 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Okay at range, but better up close The Triple Take, being a marksman rifle, should be good at range. That’s true — it is serviceable, but compared to the G7 Scout, it’s worse at taking long-range engagements. However, it’s the best at taking fights up close because of the way it works. Because the shots of the Triple Take split into three, it acts as a pseudo-shotgun up close. If you manage to land all three projectiles on someone, it does massive damage with a very fast fire rate. It might lose out to a 30-30 Repeater with Shatter Caps, but the Triple Take comes with the high damage up close as standard. Read More: The most underrated guns in Apex Legends – Putting on a smaller scope allows you to get the full potential of this power. So, be sure to treat the Triple Take as more of a shotgun if you can and maximize its potential. Take a rifle or SMG with you Because the Triple Take basically acts as both a shotgun and a sniper, you don’t want to pair it with another gun of a similar type. Instead, you’ll want something fully automatic — like a rifle or an SMG. Power picks like the Prowler, R-99, L-STAR, R-301 and Flatline are perfect backups for the Triple Take. It’s not as important to find something that’s good up close as the Triple Take can fill that void, but as long as it fires fast, it’s a good secondary to run. All of these picks will give you a well-rounded loadout that excels at both close-range fights as well as longer engagements. It also can change the way you use the Triple Take. If you have a rifle, you can use the Triple Take more like a shotgun. SMG or LMG? It’s a good long-distance gun. This flexibility is one of the Triple Take’s biggest perks, and you should abuse it if you can.

  • Tricky Apex Legends bug lets Mirage’s decoys fly into the sky – Dexerto

Tricky Apex Legends bug lets Mirage’s decoys fly into the sky Respawn EntertainmentA new bug in Apex Legends apparently lets players make Mirage’s decoys float up into the sky and confuse the heck out of anyone who might be watching. Mirage is definitely one of the trickiest characters in Apex Legends to keep track of – in part because of his Decoy ability, which creates copies that the player can control to fool opponents. These clones can do almost everything a player can – run, jump and climb over obstacles to name a few – except they can’t deal damage. They are a great way to throw off or distract an enemy team though, and a wild new bug discovered by Reddit user ‘Life_exe101’ seems sure to throw opponents for even more of a loop. This is done by spamming the key or button you have bound toggling your control of the decoy and jumping at the same time. Apparently, this makes the copy sort of phase-out and back in again, climbing higher and higher. You can see this in action in the clip above, with Mirage’s holographic body double basically floating out of the practice range. This does take place in the Firing Range, but there’s nothing that really disqualifies it from working in a regular match, either. When you stop spamming the control decoy button, the hologram flies back down to earth, which would definitely catch unsuspecting opponents off-guard and make them freak out just a little bit. The copy doesn’t behave like a player while falling, but unless you’re looking for it, you probably wouldn’t see it until it lands right by you. Obviously, Mirage’s copies aren’t meant to possess anti-gravitational capabilities (that we know of), so we would definitely consider this a bug, glitch, or exploit – whichever you prefer to call it. Respawn probably should get around to fixing this ,as we’re confident this is not the way the legend was meant to be played, but Mirage mains probably wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t on the top of their priority list.

  • Tournament organizer permanently bans Apex Legends team for teabagging teammate – Dexerto

Tournament organizer permanently bans Apex Legends team for teabagging teammate Respawn EntertainmentAn 8x Predator player in Apex Legends was permanently banned – along with his entire team – from the ‘Fate Legion’ tournament circuit after teabagging his own teammate. Teabagging has been a taunt in video games since the dawn of first-person shooters. Halo, Call of Duty, and any other video game from the early 2000s that allowed players to crouch would act as the birthplace for the age-old taunt. But as competitive gaming has evolved, so has taunting. In-game emotes would replace manual maneuvers, and trash talk would filter out racist/sexist obscenities – for the most part. This has led to old-school gamers often using the phrase “you wouldn’t survive in a 2006 CoD lobby.” However, teabagging has stood the test of time. It’s used in professional-level competitions, in every shooter from Overwatch to Apex Legends, and by players from every skill range. But a tournament organizer named ‘Fate Legion’ recently disqualified and banned an entire team of players during an Apex Legends tourney for teabagging… each other. Apex Legends players banned for teabagging Dilly, an 8x Apex Predator competitive player, recently played in an Apex Legends tournament hosted by Fate Legion. Part of the way through the tourney, Dilly’s team won a fight against an opponent, but not without losing his teammate “daftwalrus55”. After the skirmish, Dilly went to his teammate’s death box and teabagged it. Watching this unfold live, Fate Legion stated, “Yo! Dilly is disqualified. I’m not taking that at all. We’re here to create a safe space for all gamers, and that kind of stuff will not be tolerated.” Dilly and his teammate esotic TTV attempted to explain that he teabagged his own teammate, but Fate Legion stated it didn’t matter. “When you’re in a tournament, you can’t be doing that. Sportsmanship. Sportsmanship. Sportsmanship,” Legion stated after shutting down the lobby and banning Dilly and his teammates from all future ‘Fate Legion” tournaments. Dilly posted a compilation video of Fate Legion’s actions to Twitter with a thread of reasons why the organizer’s actions were unprofessional. Summit1g and pros respond to Dilly’s ban The video was then shared by Full Squad Gaming’s Jake Lucky which drew the attention of notable members of the gaming community. Twitch streamer summit1g responded saying, “Oh boy. Every time someone killed me on LAN in 1.6 I was verbally reminded how bad I was as loud as possible.” Pro Apex player SSG Dropped stated, “LMFAO bro can’t even tbag his own teammate.” Ghost Aeolus couldn’t believe the ban was real stating, “There’s simply no way” Oh boy. Every time someone killed me on lan in 1.6 I was verbally reminded how bad I was as loud as possible. — summit1g (@summit1g) July 16, 2022 Plenty of streamers and members of esports organizations shared the same sentiment, with many using the iconic “2008 CoD lobbies” as proof gamers are going soft. Fate Legion has yet to respond to the backlash for his actions, but we will be sure to provide an update if and when he does.

  • Number 1 Apex Legends console player caught teaming in Ranked match – Dexerto

Number 1 Apex Legends console player caught teaming in Ranked match Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans are frustrated after another top-ranked console player was caught teaming in Ranked matches to inflate their stats. Most Apex Legends who want to show off their skills and play against other competitors with similar skill levels usually queue up for Ranked. While matchmaking is never perfect, Ranked usually provides a fairly clear divide in skill for players depending on placement. Sadly, there are always some who try to game the system and build up RP in Apex in unfair ways to earn higher placements than normal. Now, another top Apex Legend console players has been caught teaming to boost their RP during a Ranked match and members of the community are left frustrated. Top Apex Legends console player caught teaming A post on the ApexLegends subreddit shared an almost two minute long video of the teaming in action. The player in question apparently goes by the tag ‘IceBoxedYou’ and, according to Apex.Tracker.gg, they are currently ranked #2 among PlayStation users. The video shows IceBoxedYou and two teammates meeting up with two other enemy squad to work together to kill other teams. Obviously, this is extremely frowned upon in the community—especially when playing more competitive modes like Ranked. The replies to the video were filled with players condemning the team’s actions, with many calling the Predator ranking hollow as a result. “The type of guy that probably brags to people IRL that he’s rank 1 while conveniently leaving out the part that he’s basically boosted. Well done, you’ve earned literally nothing, good job.” Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that the community has provided evidence of Predator-ranked players teaming, which has left some feeling discouraged about trying to climb ranks at all. “This is why I stopped playing PVP games,” claimed one player. Considering teaming and boosting have plagued battle royale games since their inception, it’s unlikely there will ever be a surefire solution to get rid of it all together. Hopefully, Respawn is able to find more evidence of behavior like this and take action in the future, but this remains to be seen.

  • Top Apex Predator player banned for “aimbotting” in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Top Apex Predator player banned for “aimbotting” in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentOne of the highest-ranked Apex Legends players in the Predator division has been banned from the game following claims they were using aimbot. Apex Legends ranked play is the more competitive mode, allowing players to test their skills against others and climb the ladder in hopes of earning that elusive Predator badge. However, there have been some issues with the playlist, as some players have been found to gain unfair advantages over their opponents, either by ‘teaming’, or with the help of cheats such as aimbots and wallhacks. While most of these cheaters swiftly get banned by Respawn, there have been some that have made their way up the ladder undetected and even one of the top Predator players on PC was accused of hacking. One Apex Legends player reached out to some of the developers, claiming that the #4 ranked PC player, “bob8511101,” was blatantly cheating and called for them to be banned. “The number 4 predator on PC and their squad is hardcore aimbotting. How the hell does apex not ban them before they climb this high?” they added. The number 4 predator on PC and their squad is hardcore aimbotting. How the hell does apex not ban them before they climb this high? @Respawn please for the love of god put a dedicated team on banning cheaters. @PlayApex @GH057ayame @MonsterclipRSPN @thezilch @lowkeydbjosh pic.twitter.com/qgmd9NQZdw — Skeptation (@Skeptation) July 17, 2020 The devs also found that the player was cheating, with Respawn producer Josh Medina revealing that he had issued a ban shortly after the clips first surfaced. He also revealed that, after issuing punishments to other players for cheating, Respawn do not usually provide updates to each player once they report someone. BTW i banned this guy this morning we just dont message stuff like this out — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) July 18, 2020 This is not the first time that some of the top-ranked Apex Legends players have been accused of cheating in Ranked play, as it was previously revealed that many of the top players had been teaming in their games to boost their MMR. Thankfully, most of these cheaters have eventually been caught and banned.

  • Top Apex Legends weapon skins with better iron sights: R-99, R-301, more – Dexerto

Top Apex Legends weapon skins with better iron sights: R-99, R-301, more Respawn EntertainmentWhile many Apex Legends weapon skins are just for show, some offer players a big advantage. The most obvious is changes to iron sights. We’ve got a list of top Apex Legends weapon skins with better iron sights for guns like the R-99, R-301, Flatline, and more. Most Apex Legends weapon skins just swap the colors on your gun, however the Legendary ones can completely change it up. The body of the weapon has a full makeover, and this can sometimes make skins “pay-to-win”. The most advantageous change for players is getting better iron sights. By removing clutter, upping contrasts, or thinning out the body, specific Apex Legends weapon skins can give players an upgraded iron sight. Here’s a list of some of them for the game’s more popular guns. R-99: Zero Point & Outlands Avalanche The Zero Point R-99 is one of Apex Legends’ most notorious skins. The pure white cosmetic in the Season 4 battle pass gets rid of the ‘wings’ on either side of the iron sight, opening up your visibility. However, if you missed the Season 4 battle pass, don’t stress. The Outlands Avalanche R-99 skin is pretty much just as good, and available to all players, all the time, as an original Legendary skin for the R-99. R-301 Carbine: The Last Spartan As far as R-301 skins go in Apex Legends, not many offer that much more of an advantage over the base skin. The V-shaped reticle is a bit divisive, but if you’re a fan of it, then the Last Spartan skin makes it stand out a bit more. Wingman: The Death Ray Much like the Zero Point, the Death Ray Wingman skin is as close to “pay-to-win” as you can get in Apex Legends. With a slim body and a clean scope, it’s a much better iron sight than the default skin. Because you don’t (often) equip scopes on the Wingman too, that’s very important. Flatline: Heavy Metal & Slayer’s Lancer None of the default Legendary Flatline skins are really that good for iron sights — at least compared to the base skin. However, there are some previously released skins that are worth it: namely the Heavy Metal skin from Season 4. It has a clean body, decluttering your screen. However, if you’ve copped the Champion Edition of Apex Legends, the Slayer’s Lancer is a decent substitute for better Flatline iron sights. Volt: Luxury Finish The Volt is another gun which has great default iron sights, arguably the best in the game. However, if you want them to stand out a bit more with contrast (and a clean body), the Luxury Finish Volt skin does strip it back a bit — but it’s not worth the investment compared to other weapons. Longbow: McFly The McFly Longbow skin gives Apex Legends players a big boost on the sniper while you’re still hunting for a scope. Longbow quickscopes can be key to early-game fights, and the McFly skin makes it easier to track targets with less clutter overall. Peacekeeper: The Lonestar The Lonestar skin doesn’t just look sick, it has a big advantage for Peacekeeper users. While most iron sights for the Peacekeeper are viable, the clean body of this shotgun skin makes it a bit easier to see your targets after charging up your shot.

  • Top Apex Legends predator player exposed for cheating with lobby glitch – Dexerto

Top Apex Legends predator player exposed for cheating with lobby glitch Respawn EntertainmentWhile all competitive Apex Legends players aspire to reach Predator, it turns out even at the supposed best of the best are still using unfair exploits. While playing online games is usually a pretty good time, the one thing that can instantly ruin a match are hackers – especially in Apex Legends. As players continue to pressure Respawn to crack down on the number of in-game rule-breakers using a system similar to Valorant’s Vanguard anti-cheat, the issue remains a real problem in the fan-favorite Battle Royale title. One player has demonstrated that cheating occurs even at the game’s highest rank, Predator, by showing off footage of a high-ranked player using a matchmaking exploit. Apex Legends Predator player caught cheating In a Reddit post dedicated to exposing this rule-breaker, one player writes that the cheater in question was using the “bronze lobby glitch.” This glitch allows high-level players to be put in low ELO lobbies, in turn letting them dominate and pad out their K/D/A. The video shows the Predator player and his teammate taking down the squad again and again. However, they’ve made their high-ranked status very clear by adding all of the Predator badges to their killcard. Additionally, when you drop into the game Predators have an exclusive dive trail, making them even easier to spot. Korkoszz has uploaded a YouTube playlist dedicated to exposing the player’s misgivings. With 5 separate videos and five frustrating matches, this incident is proof of just how irritating it can be to play a game when it’s riddled with cheaters. Hopefully Respawn take action coming into Season 10, as several Reddit commenters have noted that “there’s probably more fake Predator players than real ones at this point,” and that “whenever I see recent Predator badges that they just abuse glitches like this or were doxxing the servers.” While the system is unfair to the lower-level players who have become the unfortunate prey, it also ruins the game at high levels when cheating players are out in force.

  • Top Apex Legends players accused of cheating in ranked play – Dexerto

Top Apex Legends players accused of cheating in ranked play Respawn EntertainmentCompetitive Apex Legends players are not happy after some of the top Predator-ranked Xbox players were supposedly caught teaming in ranked play, seemingly to boost their MMR. Since the release of Apex Legends’ ranked play in July 2019, many hardcore fans of the game have been aiming to reach Predator rank and unlock that prestigious badge that comes with it. However, it is very challenging to climb through the ranks, as there are plenty of players who are also looking to prove themselves in the arena as some of the best in the world. Apex Legends is designed to be played in squads of three, and requires players to make the most out of their Legends’ kit to win the game, although some highly-ranked Predators had other ideas on how to remain on top of the ladder. Many fans of the battle royale were disappointed after it was revealed, on May 12, that some of the top Predator players had been teaming together in ranked to boost their MMR. A clip of the incident was shared by u/kaleinrm on the Apex subreddit, claiming both Xynoa and Skittles, who currently hold the number one and two spots on the ranked ladder across all platforms, were teaming with an enemy squad to secure a strong finish. All six of the players involved received massive backlash, with many calling on Respawn to punish those who were teaming for ruining games and potentially costing others their hard-earned rank. Unfortunately, they were not the only Apex Predators that had been apparently cheating on May 12, as another clip surfaced only hours after. This one featuring 6 other highly-ranked players who had done similar, with one supposedly threatening to DDoS anyone who planned on exposing them. “This is “Need a Soda”, who was #5, threatening to get my IP address and boot me offline after I called him out,” Reddit user MittnXBL claimed, later sharing screenshots of the back and forth. Update, May 14, 4:19AM EST: Respawn has now responded to the allegations, confirming that they are investigating the claims and will take appropriate action. I know this is probably not the answer you’re looking for RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW but: Yes, we see the articles and the claims and will take appropriate action after doing appropriate investigations. — Chin Xiang Chong 张晋翔 (@tangentiallogic) May 13, 2020 It’s unclear what kind of punishment the players might receive. Teaming is certainly against the rules, but the severity of the punishment for it may depend on a number of factors.

  • Top Apex Legends esports team shuts down despite top 10 finish in 2023 – Dexerto

Top Apex Legends esports team shuts down despite top 10 finish in 2023 Joe Brady/ ALGSIron Blood Gaming has announced it’s closing its doors after placing in the top 10 at the ALGS Championship in 2023. Iron Blood Gaming was an esports organization started in 2021 that competed in Apex Legends and Call of Duty esports. It entered Apex Legends in 2022 by signing a free-agent squad from Australia. While the organization was based in North America, its Apex Legends squads were always based in Southeast Asia. Its Apex team vaulted into the world stage in 2022 by qualifying for the 2023 Split 1 Playoffs thanks to a first-place finish in the APAC South Pro League. The team cemented its spot at the top of the esport in 2023 by placing 10th at the 2023 ALGS Championship. The organization was also a powerhouse in Call of Duty, winning the Challengers Finals in 2022 and multiple other tournaments at the tier-2 level. Now, the organization has announced the release of its players and that it’s closing its doors effective immediately. Iron Blood Gaming closes up shop The organization revealed that it was shutting down on February 14, 2024, in a post on social media saying that it was a hard decision that has been considered since last year. “IBG has officially ended operations. And again any steps for rectifying anything are being taken. Thank you,” the statement said. The announcement does not come without controversy, however, as the organization allegedly owes multiple former players and a coach money from their time in Call of Duty. “Blows my mind to know this org is still up and running, knowing they owe multiple players and coach (to my knowledge, might be more) at the (very) least $10k. From what I hear, it’s much more than that but I’ll be generous. Myself, am owed at least 6k btw,” retired pro Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson said on social media. The organization’s closing statement seemingly addressed these accusations saying that it will be “rectifying any mistakes that have been made.”

  • Top ALGS roster looking for new org after 3rd place at World Championship – Dexerto

Top ALGS roster looking for new org after 3rd place at World Championship Joe Brady/ ALGSThe roster formerly under BLVKHVND has announced that it is looking for a new organization to represent after a top-three showing at the 2023 ALGS Championship. The 2023 ALGS Championship has concluded and thus multiple rosters are going through shake-ups as teams, players and organizations look to field the best possible lineup for the 2024 season. One of the more surprising moves this off-season so far has been BLVKHVND, whose players are now all free agents. The APAC South team is coming off of an impressive 2023 showing. The roster placed third in the second split, qualifying for the Split 2 Playoffs LAN tournament where they finished in the top 20. That performance qualified them for the ALGS Championship where the squad placed third in a stacked tournament. BLVKHVND was the best-performing team from their region, with fellow APAC South team DreamFire finishing in seventh. Top three ALGS Championship roster now on the market The team, now competing under the name Primis Konanda, announced on September 14 that it is looking for an organization to represent for the fourth year of the ALGS circuit. “After finishing 3rd at the Year 3 Championship, we are now setting our sights on winning a LAN in Year 4. Our entire team is hungrier than ever for the opportunity to lift the trophy and we will outwork all of our competition,” ‘StrafingFlame,’ the team’s IGL, said on social media. All three players on the former BLVKHVND roster, StafingFlame, Muamar Fahri ‘EzFlash’ Abrar, and Ethan ‘PlayerKay’ Foo are veterans of the Apex Legends Global Series circuit. All three players have been competing since 2021 with PlayerKay and StrafingFlame crossing over on squads like Chicken Sandwich, Valiant, and Iron Blood Gaming. While the ALGS Championship is only days behind us, the start of the fourth season is already on the horizon. The official start dates have not yet been revealed, but going off of the start time from last year’s circuit, year four of the ALGS should kick back up sometime in November.

  • Top 4 best Apex Legends tattoos: Wraith, Revenant, Pathfinder – Dexerto

Top 4 best Apex Legends tattoos: Wraith, Revenant, Pathfinder Respawn Entertainment / Reddit, idzanakeYou don’t need to play Apex Legends or watch it on Twitch to know the game is doing well. Its fans are, quite literally, wearing their hearts on their sleeves and getting the game’s characters permanently etched on their bodies with tattoos. [jwplayer UQowmNq2] When Respawn Entertainment turned their Titanfall franchise into a battle royale, they did so in a cartoonish way that blended some of the universe’s grittier art with some of its more humorous, self-reflective designs. So the same game that has a spooky simulacrum like Revenant also boasts a goofy, smiley-face-crested robot like Pathfinder. Since the game’s release in February 2019, those characters and weapons have become ingrained within a fanbase’s collective consciousness. Now, they’ve been embedded upon said fan’s skin as well. Here are some of the best Apex Legends tattoos to surface over the popular battle royale’s lifespan. The Kunai Wraith Known for her insufferable Twitch streamers and her relationship with the Void, Wraith’s heirloom is a slick kunai knife. As such, Reddit’s ‘idzanake’ decided to modify the Void-walker’s original design to accommodate the Japanese knife’s imagery and introduce a samurai mask for their forearm tattoo. In the spirit of that aesthetic inspiration, her Void appears to be referenced with a series of surrounding waves — which are a globally renowned element from Japanese woodblock printing (seen prominently in Katsushika Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”). The Mozambique for charity https://www.instagram.com/p/BzT5yq_J_OK/?utm_source=ig_embed One of Apex’s more heartwarming stories, a Twitch streamer named ‘Nico’ asserted that she would get a tattoo of the game’s infamously worst gun: the Mozambique. As such, once her goal of $5,000 toward Gamers Outreach was surpassed by a whopping $3,000, she got what turned out to be a vibrant, colorful ‘bique on her thigh. Even if the design wasn’t so clean, this would have been an excellent tattoo for the story alone. Revenant’s Unholy Beast Revenant is a scary character. Revenant’s Unholy Beast legendary skin is also scary, but with more symbolism vibes. It should be no wonder, then, that a tattoo of the Legend’s spooky mask looks pretty cool. In a tattoo that would make a leather-jacket-clad biker proud, Reddit’s ‘Sir_Waluigi’ is partially covered by the Unholy Beast face, cracked skull and all. Fittingly, it sits next to another tattoo with a skull, marking the continuation of a menacing sleeve. “Hi, Friends!” https://www.instagram.com/p/CELF0FjF5Wd/?igshid=5kylyss3t4pa Tattoo artist ‘jtricomi’ was asked to put together a Pathfinder tattoo for their brother-in-law, Chris, and the results are very fun. Just as the Legend departs from some of the other, edgier designs, this art is much more vibrant and cartoonish than the aforementioned works. With Pathfinder’s patented “Hi, friends!” voiceline etched above, jtricomi etches the friendly robot with a joyful wave, a trademark smiley face, and a variety of blue and orange hues in the style of a watercolor painting. If anything, this final Apex Legends tattoo demonstrates how versatile the game’s designs can be.

  • Top 10 most watched Apex Legends Twitch streamers: May 2022 – Dexerto

Top 10 most watched Apex Legends Twitch streamers: May 2022 Respawn Entertainment/TwitchMay was another big month for Apex Legends on Twitch, pulling in a ton of viewers amid all of the updates. Here are the most-watched Apex Legends streamers on Twitch for the past month. A lot of streamers on Twitch have stuck around to play Apex Legends in 2022 after switching from Warzone and other games. That, alongside the regular top Apex streamers, kept the game well within the top 10 most-watched games for the entire month. But who was the most popular individual broadcaster? Here were the most-viewed Apex streamers on Twitch in May 2022. Most watched Apex Legends Twitch streamers (May 2022) Coming in at first with the most hours watched was NICKMERCS, who brought over his massive viewership accrued playing Fortnite and then Warzone earlier in 2021. TSM_ImperialHal, iiTzTimmy, and aceu weren’t far behind though, with sweetdreams and daltoosh also in the top 10. Here’s the full leaderboard according to SullyGnome including the number of hours streamed, viewing hours, and peak viewers: aceu crept up to the 2nd place just ahead of TSM_ImperialHal, both of whom have been putting on a show in Apex Legends ahead of crucial events in the scene. • Top 10 best Legends for Control in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Top 10 best Legends for Control in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends introduced a new limited-time mode called Control in Season 12, which Call of Duty players have likened to Domination. If you’re looking to dominate in Control, here’s the best 10 Legends you should be using, ranked. The rules for Control are simple. There are two teams, each of which has nine Legends on it. Unlike the general battle royale mode, there can be multiple of the same Legend on those teams, too. You are then tasked with the objective of claiming three major checkpoints on the map, labeled A, B, and C. If your team has captured an objective, then the team can start spawning there and defend it. The longer these are defended, the more points your team will rack up – working towards the goal of hitting 1,250! For a full breakdown of Control’s rules and tips to perform better, here’s our complete guide. Best Legends to use in Control: Apex Legends rankings Here, we’re going to show you the best Legends for the new Apex Legends Control mode. It wasn’t easy, but let’s dive right into it… 10. Mirage The Holographic Trickster might be a thorn in your side a lot of times in the normal mode, especially when he uses his Ultimate. Now, in Control – where multiple can fire off their small army of decoys – a team with a few Mirages involved can prove to be a handful. Read More: When is Apex Legends Season 13? – Mirage will be a perfect Legend for players who are always looking to be in the action zones, capturing objectives or defending. But on the offensive, he’ll offer very little to the team. 9. Bloodhound The Godsent Hunter can scan like crazy for your team, and that’s super effective in the battle royale mode – putting the non-binary fighter among the top spots in our complete tier list. Based on that, it should come as no surprise to see Bloodhound on our Top 10 list for Control. Beast of the Hunt, Tracker, and Eye of the Allfather are all strong strings to your bow. Read More: Apex Legends 2022 Anniversary event details – As a support player, you’re going to have some great success by choosing to use the Technological Tracker. However, in a mode based on attacking, securing, and defending three objectives, some other abilities across the roster are just a bit more superior. 8. Lifeline One of the things you should know about Apex Legends’ Control is that your Ultimate ability has a much shorter cooldown, which benefits some Legends more than others. In the case of Lifeline, with constant Care Packages coming in for shields, she’s such a valuable asset to any 9v9 team. As the opposite approach and squeeze your spawn zone, almost to trap you, there’s nothing better than a load of previous drops to pick loot from. Her Heal Drone might be made redundant in Control, but the pros far outweigh the cons. 7. Bangalore Pulling off a siege on a particular objective in Apex Legends Control mode can be tough, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. If you’re looking to confuse a defending team, defend yourself from open fire, or teammates, Bangalore’s Smoke Launcher is a great tool to have in your arsenal. It would be a crime to not mention the Rolling Thunder, as well. The shorter cooldown on her Ultimate will be music to the ears of her mains, spawn trapping your enemies with a carpet bomb, or putting some serious pressure on capturing a zone. When special Capture Bonus areas pop up, you’re going to want a Professional Soldier on your side. 6. Caustic Defensive Legends can be really effective in Control, and Caustic’s gas is a perfect example of that. By placing a few of the Gas Traps around the location you’re trying to secure, it makes it really difficult for opposing players to enter without harm. As the gas is ticking away at them during the gunfight, the ramped-up nature of Ultimate abilities means you’ll have a lot more Nox Gas Grenades to pepper the area with. In short, if you can get one or two Caustics in your lineup, have them camping around the B zone and you can’t really go wrong. Use these abilities in this way and, to quote the Toxic Trapper himself: “One thing is certain. Someone will die.” 5. Valkyrie Getting from what can be a faraway land, known as your spawn location, and into the heat of battle can be a struggle for most Legends when your team is being dominated. On Control, quick movement – such as the flying abilities of Valk – can be a game-changer. Read More: How to use Kinetic Feeder hop-up – First of all, there are a lot of moving targets in a 9v9 situation. Blasting off in the battle royale mode might make you an easy target to track, but often Control players are more likely to move onto another nearby enemy if you jet off into the skies. Chances are, in crowded spots, as you have moved and another teammate has become closer – encouraging them to switch targets. In addition, the Skyward Dive means you can take another two of your comrades right into the impact zone, and Missile Swarm is always a deadly trick card to play. 4. Revenant The Synthetic Nightmare has been bobbling around the lower regions of Apex Legends tier lists for many a season now, with arguably underwhelming abilities for battle royale play. That being said, in Control, Revenant comes into his own as an attacking force. Revenant’s tactical ability, Silence, is an absolute killer when fired at a zone objective. What Control does is forces players to attack in unison, and stand around together, which plays into his hands. Using Silence to disable enemy abilities for a period of time makes them extremely vulnerable to being wiped out. With good communication and the right timing of the offensive play, he can be invaluable. On top of that, having the potential of nine players diving into a Death Totem – hitting all sorts of damage – and coming back into the gunfight right afterward is a deadly prospect. In the right hands, Rev is a perfect pick in this game mode. 3. Mad Maggie After only just entering the Apex Games, this is the first LTM she’s been involved in – and crikey, it suits her. This isn’t going to be the only Aussie you see on our list, but you probably knew that already. Mad Maggie is the new kid on the block and looks built for the high-octane, chaotic, and fun gameplay of Control. First things first, her Warlord’s Ire passive ability to sprint faster when holding a shotgun (clearly a devastating weapon in close quarters) can prove devastating. In the blink of an eye, the relentless fighter is claiming the zone after wiping two people out with a shotgun loadout. In addition, the Rebel Warlord has a Riot Drill at her disposal to burn opponents through obstacles – whether that be a Gibby shield, or a wall surrounding the capture zone. That alone can wreak havoc – but toss in a Wrecking Ball and you’re in business. 2. Fuse Your team, more often than not, will have a Bombastic Explosives Expert on it – and for good reason, fellas. With a smaller map to play on and a greater concentration of Legends with the 9v9 setup, shooting in a Knuckle Cluster can deal some deadly damage at different checkpoints. If you’re looking to lock a few enemies down inside their own spawn, too, how about cracking off The Motherload? For close combat gunfights and pursuing an offensive game to get those capture points, there are not many better than Fuse. Control plays to his strengths tenfold. 1. Wattson The longer your team maintains control (no pun intended) of the different zones across the map, the faster the points will rack up. Well, there might be no better fit than Wattson for getting the best outcomes. Read More: Apex Legends crossplay guide – Using Perimeter Security fences will create a forcefield for your teams to enter, and keep out the rascals trying to capture your objective. More than one Wattson can see your squad put some serious obstacles in their way, making her by far the best defensive Legend for the task in hand, in Control. Not only that but her Ultimate ability, the Interception Pilon, is essentially a trophy system to destroy all incoming ordinance. So, if you want to lock down some areas, help capture, and defend objectives – the dazzling French lass is the one for you. • Titanfall’s C.A.R SMG finally coming in Apex Legends Season 11: Escape – Dexerto

Titanfall’s C.A.R SMG finally coming in Apex Legends Season 11: Escape Respawn/EAAt long last, Titanfall’s deadly C.A.R SMG will be coming to Apex Legends in Season 11: Escape as Respawn Entertainment have started dropping all the big details. With Apex Legends and Titanfall both being developed by Respawn Entertainment, there has always been plenty of room for crossover. Some fans have actively encouraged the developers to throw in crossovers, in fact. While we might not be getting Titan’s dropping into Kings Canyon or Olympus anytime soon, Season 11: Escape will finally add two Titanfall icons that fans have been waiting for. The dastardly Ash has been confirmed as the battle royale’s newest legend, and she will also be accompanied by the C.A.R SMG that has been seen a few times previously. C.A.R SMG finally comes to Apex Legends As noted, the deadly C.A.R SMG has been spotted a few times in Apex Legends already through Respawn’s dev streams and finisher animations, but it’s never actually been in-game until now. “A flexible weapon, the C.A.R. SMG is the gun for when you’re ready to make a stand and become the last Legend still standing,” the description for the SMG reads in the Season 11 reveal, with the weapon looking just as it did back in Titanfall. Whether or not the weapon will be totally the same when it comes to damage output and recoil, though, remains to be seen. In Titanfall, the SMG’s high rate of fire made it perfect for close-range fights but it dropped off brutally at range. In the Apex Games, players will be able to switch between using the C.A.R with light and heavy ammo, which is a first. While unlikely, the SMG could also be tossed into supply drops, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens exactly Respawn has planned for its new season.

  • Titanfall’s Scorch would be an explosive addition to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Titanfall’s Scorch would be an explosive addition to Apex Legends Apex Legends fans are looking forward to the next character to be added to the game, and one Redditor has suggested that Scorch from Titanfall should be the obvious choice, even creating a number of abilities that he could use in battle. Apex Legends is a battle royale game where players choose from one of nine Legends, each of whom come with their own special abilities to give them the best chance at winning a match, and be crowned Apex Champion. While there may be nine different Legends, some players have already started calling for more to be added, growing tired of the current lineup, and Reddit user NeighborhoodTurtle believes Respawn Entertainment should look to another of their games for inspiration, Titanfall, and the Scorch character. Who is Scorch from Titanfall? Short for Scorched Earth, Scorch is an Titan from Titanfall 2 that was based on an Ogre chassis. Titans are large robots who are used for a number of different purposes throughout the Titanfall Universe, but have been used by military personnel to wage war. Scorch’s main weapon in Titanfall 2 is fire, while his T-203 Thermite Launcher was a single-shot grenade launcher that was created specifically for use in the Scorch Titan. What abilities would Scorch have in Apex Legends? While having a massive Titan in Apex Legends seems like it could be difficult to balance, NeighborhoodTurtle has come up with some abilities that it could have to make it stand out among the crowd if it were ever introduced to the game. Scorch’s passive would make it imune to fire damage, logical seeing as Scorch was the master of fire in Titanfall 2, while the tactical ability would see the robot either fire bullets covered in flames, or pull out a fire canisters similar to Caustic’s gas canisters. For an ultimate ability, Scorch would be able to create a Wall of Fire that would create a shockwave of flames which radiates around Scorch in a 30 meter radius. The ability would knockback players, while also dealing fire damage which would deal five damage points per tick for a 10 second period. NeighborhoodTurtle suggests that Scorch would be attack orientated, and would be especially useful in close quarters combat thanks to his abilities, with the Titan’s ultimate only working if an enemy is within 30 meters when it goes off. They also think that the character’s hitbox would be around the same size as Pathfinder’s, meaning it would be slightly easier to hit him, as a way to balance out his incredibly strong powers. Read More: Will there ever be Titans in Apex Legends? – With Respawn Entertainment creating both Apex Legends and Titanfall, it’s possible we may see crossover between the two franchises in the future, especially as a number of Titanfall-related files have been found in Apex Legends. The developers have yet to announce who will be the next Legend, or when we will be able to get our hands on it, so for the time being, Apex fans will just have to wait patiently and hope information becomes available soon.

  • Titanfall-inspired Lifeline rework could be perfect for Apex Legends – Dexerto

Titanfall-inspired Lifeline rework could be perfect for Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan has proposed a Titanfall-inspired rework for Combat Medic Lifeline, which could constitute the perfect buff for the tricky character. Since Respawn’s BR dropped over 2 years ago, Combat Medic Lifeline has consistently been a fan favorite. Her healing abilities mean that she is almost always useful, regardless of the situation a team finds themselves in. However, her relative strength and popularity have found themselves dwindling in recent seasons, with Respawn confirming adjustments will come in Season 9. It’s hard to describe the changes as a buff or nerf, because there’s multiple changes being made. Her res shield will be removed completely, but healing from her Drone of Compassion will be 60% faster, and her Care Packages will “guarantee upgrades”. Whilst changes are already planned for Lifeline in Season 9, one Redditor has captured the community’s imagination and Titanfall nostalgia, suggesting a rework to make her Care Package Ultimate resemble Titanfall’s Drop Pods. “Lifeline’s Ultimate should be reworked to be a Drop Pod revive,” they said. “Players revived could be spawned with a basic loadout corresponding to ring stage. This would provide something unique and incredibly useful while filling her role as a Combat Medic.” The rework would combine Lifeline’s Combat Medic description with her Care Package Ultimate. They even attached some awesome artwork of what the rework could look like. Given Respawn’s confirmation of the changes coming in Season 9, it doesn’t seem likely we’ll see this specific overhaul anytime soon. Depending on how the upcoming changes affect Lifeline, Respawn could be open to a similar rework in the future. They have, for example, said that they’re open to a Crypto rework given his lack of popularity and enduring mediocrity. Season 9 is set to drop on May 4, 2021, barring any delays on Respawn’s end.

  • Titanfall fans think Respawn hinted at third game in Apex Legends patch notes – Dexerto

Titanfall fans think Respawn hinted at third game in Apex Legends patch notes Respawn EntertainmentA cryptic note at the end of the Harbinger event Apex Legends patch notes hinted towards some exciting Titanfall news. Respawn is the developer of both the Titanfall and Apex Legends franchises but hasn’t released a Titanfall game for over seven years. However, new information surfaced at the end of the Apex Legends patch notes that had loyal Titanfall fans excited for the franchise’s future. Titanfall patch notes teaser explained Iniqu1ty posted a tweet that he was shocked by what he had found in the Harbinger event patch notes: “what the actual…” He found the teaser that drove fans crazy at the bottom of the official Respawn patch notes page: Incoming Transmission…. Subject: Nessie…. / 1394521200 / 1477638000 / 1549267200. “If you search for these numbers, each one depicts the release date of Titanfall 1, Titanfall 2, and Apex Legends in Unix time,” Iniqu1ty was baffled to find. Apex Legends and Titanfall community were shocked The teaser caused a furor of excitement for fans of both Respawn games, Apex Legends and Titanfall. But some Titanfall fans found it too good to believe, having waited for so long for Titanfall 3: “IM SO TIRED OF GETTING EXCITED OVER TITANFALL SHIT” Furthermore, hints and teasers have left Titanfall fans before just to leave them left empty-handed. So, the community is trying not to get too excited about a long-awaited Titanfall 3 release but harbors a secret hope that the time for Titanfall 3 might be here.

  • Titanfall fans convinced series is coming back thanks to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Titanfall fans convinced series is coming back thanks to Apex Legends EA/RespawnTitanfall 2 fans are convinced that the franchise is going to receive some kind of resurgence thanks to multiple ‘hints’ from Apex Legends. While many fans of Respawn Entertainment love the Apex Legends battle royale, there are plenty who still miss the Titanfall franchise’s style of gameplay. Since Titanfall 2’s release in 2016, fans of the series have been desperate to see it continue on with many clinging to rumors that Titanfall 3 was still in development at Respawn. Of course, the team would eventually go on to make Apex, which has been one of the studio’s primary focuses for some time. However, it seems there’s been some renewed hope among the community surrounding Titanfall’s resurgence, thanks to a handful of clues and coincidences surrounding both Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends. Titanfall fans convinced a resurgence is coming A tweet from content creator Iniquity gained traction among Titanfall fans after he pointed out some interesting coincidences. Iniquity noted that Titanfall 2 playlists have been updated every day as of late, that Respawn fixed ongoing matchmaking crashes in online mode, and that Titanfall 2 is currently on sale for only $3. The content creator also explained that the name of Apex Legends’ current season, Resurrection, could hint at a Titanfall resurrection and that the season ends “right around Titanfall 2’s 7th anniversary.” It’s also worth mentioning that they included a popular meme of Charlie Kelly from It’s Always Sunny in front of a conspiracy theory board, noting that these clues simply amount to nothing. Still, that didn’t stop many Titanfall fans from getting excited about the possibility that Titanfall 3, or some potential Apex Legends crossover, could come to fruition. That is…..a lot of weird coincidences — ΞMØ CHΞΞSΞCΛK̷Ξ/HΞYDΞN (@Emo_Cheesecake) September 7, 2023 Honestly I’m glad anything is happening. If we get an actual content update that would be really cool “That is..,a lot of weird coincidences Honestly I’m glad anything is happening. If we get an actual content update that would be really cool,” said one fan. Surprise Titanfall 3 announcement incoming right guys????? (I’m coping) — Artorias (@Over_Creation) September 7, 2023 Another Titanfall 2 player said, “Surprise Titanfall 3 announcement incoming right guys????? (I’m coping)” to which Iniquity assured them they weren’t alone. “Me too don’t worry,” the content creator replied. While all of those coincidences certainly seem suspicious when lumped together, Respawn Entertainment has stressed that should Titanfall 3 return in the future it would not be anytime soon. Still, it seems that a shred of hope still lives on for Respawn’s mech-centric first-person shooter — especially among fans.

  • Titanfall fans are losing hope after latest Apex Legends character reveal – Dexerto

Titanfall fans are losing hope after latest Apex Legends character reveal Respawn EntertainmentIf you haven’t been keeping up with the Titanfall hype, then teasers, plus the sudden repair of Titanfall 2 led some in the community to get their hopes up about a new entry in the series. But, the latest Apex Legends trailer has now dashed that hope for some. For many years, Titanfall 2’s multiplayer servers remained in a state of disrepair, often simply impossible to play a match on any platform. However, quietly, Respawn began fixing and updating the game, even adding new limited-time modes with rather cryptic descriptions. Of course, Respawn has simultaneously remained entirely tight-lipped on all things Titanfall – and when the newest Apex Legends character was revealed on October 19, filled with Titanfall references, it was a sobering sight for some hopeful players. Was Respawn just teasing the new Legend all along? There has been a complaint from some in the Titanfall community, particularly those who don’t care much for Apex, that Respawn’s fan service to their original franchise is nothing more than a marketing ploy for their newer and undeniably more successful battle royale game. So, when the first trailer for Conduit, the new Season 19 legend, dropped, and featured a big titan battle at the outset, some of the fears these fans have came true – were the Titanfall teasers just for this? After the trailer was released, the top post on the subreddit was entitled “It’s joever, pilots. New Legend is coming.” The Titanfall subreddit is now where the small but lively community gathers to pray for something, anything, new in the Titanfall series. “If this is what the hype was for then the sum of the marketing department iq might be countable with one hand,” one clearly displeased fan commented. “They’re all watching the internet freak out over TF3 and they’re like “nah keep apex alive longer,” another chimed in. One player, reminded of previous Titanfall ‘hints’ in Apex, said, “THEY DID THIS TO US! AGAIN!” – but another more level-headed response came: “We did this to ourselves, kinda.” It’s certainly true, that for Respawn’s part, they actually haven’t done anything to cause real belief that a new Titanfall game is even a remote possibility (except for a now infamous tweet in 2021, teasing “Who knows what the future holds…”). For now, if the Titanfall 2 updates were even connected to the new Legend, no one really knows.

  • Titanfall 3 rumored to be on its way, despite Respawn’s Apex Legends focus – Dexerto

Titanfall 3 rumored to be on its way, despite Respawn’s Apex Legends focus Respawn EntertainmentTitanfall 3, the long-awaited third installment to Respawn Entertainment’s explosive Titan based FPS franchise, is very “real” and reportedly already in early development, according to rumored sources from a known Apex Legends leaker. Respawn has long denied the existence of Titanfall 3, which originally became Apex Legends during the height of the Fortnite-led battle royale craze. A Titanfall sequel has never officially been off the table, however, with franchise publisher EA even admitting one could come “down the road” if the opportunity ever presented itself. As it turns out, that time may be sooner than we think. New insider rumors are suggesting a possible Titanfall 3 release is definitely “real,” with the plotted trilogy title actually already in development behind the scenes at Respawn’s studios. The new Titanfall 3 rumors come from Apex Legends content creator TheNeon_Beast, who has proven himself as a solid insider source throughout the battle royale’s sixth season. “Titanfall 3 is for real,” the Brazilian leaker said in a now-deleted tweet. “I’m pretty sure leakers can say the same, cuz we have totally different sources. The good thing is: even with different sources, the rumor is exactly the same.” The streamer added he “doesn’t believe in coincidences.” Dexerto reached out to Winchester for further details, but he did not reply before the publishing deadline. https://twitter.com/tHeNeOn_BeAst/status/1310097413177303041 Popular data miner Biast12, who has become a leading Apex Legends leaker in recent times, shared Winchester’s tweet with his own confirmation. “Yeah, I can confirm that part,” the data miner said, in regards to Titanfall 3 being “real.” https://twitter.com/Biast12/status/1310145908709957632 If these new Titanfall 3 rumors turn out to be true, Respawn must have green-lit the highly-anticipated sequel in the past few months. Back in May, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella admitted there was “nothing currently in development.” At the same time, the former Modern Warfare guru did admit he was very interested in seeing “some kind of resurrection there.” Zampella also promised he would “see if [he] could make something happen.” Maybe he really did? Titanfall 3 may reportedly be “real,” but that doesn’t mean it would be coming any time soon. Apex Legends is still Respawn’s main focus, and with the current work-from-home situation slowing them down on that, Titanfall 3 production wouldn’t have fared much better. For now, keep your eyes peeled; Respawn is sure to begin teasing the anticipated trilogy release soon, if it is indeed being worked on behind the scenes. There’s plenty happening in Apex Legends to tide you over too: Season 7 is on the horizon, and Pathfinder is finally set to be buffed again. The battle royale will also be getting its huge crossplay update soon; it’s all happening in Apex Legends!

  • Titanfall 2 easter egg finally uncovered with the help of Apex Legends devs – Dexerto

Titanfall 2 easter egg finally uncovered with the help of Apex Legends devs Respawn EntertainmentTitanfall 2 speedrunners managed to uncover an easter egg that’s been unsolved until now. Thanks to some helpful Apex Legends devs, they pointed people in the right direction to unveil this great mystery. Respawn Entertainment are known for putting quite a few secrets laced throughout their projects. Some are so intricate and beloved by fans that they later turn into parts of a game’s lore, like Apex’s Nessie dolls. The studio’s franchise before Apex Legends, Titanfall, is no exception. People have combed over the game and its sequel for every possible easter egg, and apparently, there are some that have gone undiscovered. Apex Legends Narrative Historian ‘Frozenfroh’ shined a spotlight on the mysterious Titanfall 2 campaign secret after the developer who put it there gave him permission to tweet about it. I recorded this when I was in a different country. Now this is the part where I tag the dev’s twitter account, but he is not on twitter! Jake Keating is a god pic.twitter.com/x1xnmEVhuJ — David (@frozenfroh) March 26, 2022 Titanfall 2 easter egg discovered years later It was only a day later when Titanfall 2 speedrunner ‘Nextracer11’ published a video of the moment the easter egg was discovered. During the Effect and Cause mission in TF2, the speedrunners found that they had to time-shift 88 times to access a secret room. At first glance, it seems like a normal room. But when you time shift again, you’ll find two corpses; one electrocuted on the ground and the other one propped on desks doing the splits. Fans quickly saw the connection between the bodies in the room and the famous Jean Claude Van Dam film ‘Timecop’ that paints a similar picture. (Timestamp at 1:45 for mobile viewers) The TF2 mission it’s found on incorporates a heavy past-present time skip function, so it’s fitting that the easter egg would incorporate a reference from Timecop and Back to the Future – a nod to the 88 MPH the DeLorean needed to reach to activate the flux capacitor. Titanfall 2 came out in 2016 and it took fans six years (along with a couple of hints from the devs) to finally uncover one of the game’s best-kept secrets.

  • Titanfall 2 character spotted in leaked Apex Legends cosmetics – Dexerto

Titanfall 2 character spotted in leaked Apex Legends cosmetics TheShadyColombian (Reddit) / EAA number of upcoming Apex Legends weapon charms have surfaced thanks to dataminer ‘KralRindo,’ with one charm showing a famous Titanfall 2 character not currently part of the Apex Games. Respawn are constantly providing fans with fresh new cosmetics to sport during the Apex Games, whether that be through weapon or character skins. More recently, weapon charms have been all the rage in Apex Legends, with the Bobblehead charms the most sought after. So devoted fans will be delighted to know that a series of character charms have been leaked — which perhaps hints at things to come in Season 5 and onwards. Ash charm spotted? KralRindo – the dataminer behind the leak of voice lines for eight unreleased weapons and a brand-new weapon ammo type – has unveiled a host of weapon charms that were sitting in the game files. There are a variety of trinkets on show, from miscellaneous charms to more Bobblehead charms — including Season 4’s debutant, Revenant. Amid the plethora of charms is a character who has never been seen before in the Apex Games. Although those familiar with the Titanfall 2 universe will know of Ash. The character is conspicuously sitting between the Lifeline and Bloodhound Bobbleheads in the top-right hand corner. And a comparison of this weapon charm to Ash in Titanfall 2 is almost an exact match. Who is Ash? Ash is a simulacrum, just like Hammond Robotics’ Synthetic Nightmare, Revenant. Unlike Revenant, Ash was formed by Vinson Dynamics following the Battle of Typhoon in Titanfall 2. What ties Ash into Apex Legends’ existing plot, is that before becoming a simulacrum, Ash served as one of Kuben Blisk’s lieutenants in the Apex Predators. Blisk has an extensive lore that runs through the veins of Apex Legends. Aside from being a ruthless mercenary, Kuben Blisk is the founder of the Apex Games and is said to be the brains behind The Syndicate — the organization moderating the Apex Games and who Crypto has locked horns with in the past. Alongside his extensive lore, Blisk’s full ability set has been previously leaked by dataminers. Therefore hinting that Respawn fully intends to introduce him into the Apex Legends universe as a playable character in the future. So what does this mean? Well, Ash is the perfect bridge between Revenant and Blisk, which could tie into a plot that has been bubbling under the surface since the introduction of the Planet Harvester. We know that Hammond Robotics is using the harvester to gather precious metals from the core of World’s Edge. So it’s quite possible that Ash will enter the Apex Games to aid Revenant’s “thirst for vengeance” in a bid to ruin the organization’s bid to extract materials — simultaneously ruining Blisk’s grand plan. Of course, the above is entirely speculative. Especially considering Loba is tipped to be the next character to enter the Apex Legends realm. However, it is most definitely food for thought, in light of how Ash bridges the gap between simulacra and the changes to World’s Edge in Season 4.

  • Titanfall 2 arriving on Steam is perfect time to try Apex Legends prequel – Dexerto

Titanfall 2 arriving on Steam is perfect time to try Apex Legends prequel Respawn EntertainmentTitanfall 2 has finally arrived on Steam nearly four years after Respawn’s Titan-based FPS franchise sequel was first released, and it’s sparking a renaissance for the cult classic — it’s time to give the Apex Legends ‘prequel’ a shot. Before the Loba and Revenant, the Apex Games, and Kings Canyon, there was the Outlands, and Titans. Pilots darted across walls, and claimed kills with the Smart Pistol MK6, and the R-201. It was a fledgling FPS franchise that dreamed of rivaling mainstay titles like Call of Duty, and Battlefield, and many thought it could. Only, release timing punted Titanfall 2 right into the realms of a ‘cult classic’ before it even had a chance to spread its wings. EA put it up against Battlefield 1 and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and it failed to meet every sales metric the publisher marked it on. After the breath of fresh air that many had dubbed the first Titanfall game, to see the sequel fall at the final hurdle was heartbreaking for fans. Many would eventually make their way to Apex after the battle royale was released in 2019. Four years later, Titanfall 2 may finally be having its time in the sun: the 2016 game has been released on Steam, and it’s already smashing its old player numbers — it’s well and truly time for Apex fans to give the Respawn title a crack. Now, let’s not beat around the bush. Titanfall 2 isn’t blowing any kind of Steam records after its arrival on the platform. Just under 10,000 players logged into the Respawn shooter on June 21, according to Valve. Compared to its old console count, however, that’s huge. The title — which is currently selling with a 67% discount to celebrate its relaunch — is on top of the best-sellers charts at the moment though. It’s ahead of a discounted Skyrim, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Dark Souls III, and more. “It’s so great to see Titanfall 2 getting so many new players! Welcome to all the new pilots!” Respawn animator Moy Parra said of the Steam release. He added soon after “it’s fine [to dive into the sequel] if you haven’t played the first one.” It’s so great to see #Titanfall2 getting so many new players! Welcome to all the new pilots! Hope you enjoy it 🎮🤖 pic.twitter.com/H6Xev8Czda — Moy Parra 🎮 (@_moyparra) June 20, 2020 Titanfall 2 tells the story of Jack Cooper, a militia rifleman who becomes a Titan pilot after the death of his mentor Captain Tai Lastimosa at the hands of mercenary leader Kuben Blisk — who may just be the next Legend in Apex Legends. Basically, Apex Legends players are running out of excuses to go a little ‘old school’. It’s time to return to the game that inspired the now hugely popular battle royale. You’ll see guns and weapons you recognize, enemies that have carried over, and even a few Pathfinder-like characters too! With Steam’s launch discount, Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition is currently selling at $9.89 USD, or ~£8 GBP. For Australians, that’s $13.18 AUD. This promotional offer is expected to end by Friday, July 10, so you have a bit of time to decide. Titanfall 2 is available to purchase through Steam here. While you’re on the browser, make sure you add Apex Legends to your wishlist too. The battle royale should be available on the Valve-owned browser in the next few months.

  • Tips for surviving and winning Shadowfall LTM in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Tips for surviving and winning Shadowfall LTM in Apex Legends The new Shadowfall LTM is the main attraction of the Fight or Fright event in Apex Legends, but you might be finding it somewhat difficult to win. Here’s some tips and tricks to help secure your spot in the top 10 and make it to the Evac ship. Set on a night version of Kings Canyon, Shadowfall is the new mode added just in time for Halloween, but players have been finding it scarily difficult to actually make it out alive. Perhaps this is intentional, but many of the Fight or Fright event challenges rely on getting victories and kills in this mode, so if you want to complete them, these tips should help you out. Picking the right legend Before you even get into the match, it’s crucial you have a suitable legend to use. Ideally, you want a legend with good mobility, as escaping from a tight spot is often necessary. That really rules out characters like Caustic, Gibraltar and even Wattson, Crypto and Bloodhound likely aren’t ideal, as none of these characters can make easy escapes. Although not impossible to succeed with them, you’ll find others more effective overall. Rather, your best bet is Wraith or Pathfinder, whose tactical abilities will allow you to get out a tight spot when you’re getting swarmed by the Shadow Squad. Other options like Octane and Mirage can also work. Bangalore might seem like a good option thanks to her ‘Double Time’ passive, but there’s a catch. Because the Shadow Squad see players highlighted in red, Bangalore’s smoke bombs become entirely ineffective. In fact, it actually puts you at a disadvantage, because you can’t see them, while they can see you. Play safe for the first circle Unlike the normal mode, the objective here isn’t so much to rack up kills and be the last legend standing. So, if going for the win, try to drop in at a quiet spot, rather than a busy landing area. With the reduced player count this should be easier to do. Once you’ve got your quiet landing spot, try to loot up on weapons and ammo while avoiding any unnecessary engagements for at least the first circle. Ideally, you also want to find a blue shield or better, as this will allow you to take two hits before being taken out by the Shadow Squad. After the first circle has closed in, you might want to get a little more aggressive, but remember that taking shots will just alert you to enemies, and you may as well let the existing members of the Shadow Squad take out opponents for you until you reach the top 10. Camping is already pretty common in the Shadowfall mode, and is likely to get more common, as it is a pretty necessary tactic if you really want to rack up wins. Weapon choice For this survival guide, the focus is more on taking out the Shadow Squad than enemy players, which means your choice of weapon will be slightly different to a normal match. You’ll need something for mid to long-range, as well as something for when the undead get a little too close for comfort. You’ll want to avoid sniper rifles, perhaps with the exception of the G7 scout, as missing your shot could be deadly. Instead, for the mid-to-long range you’ll ideally want an AR: R-301, Hemlok, Flatline or Havoc. The Prowler SMG can also be a solid choice. The Spitfire LMG is also a great choice thanks to its generous magazine size, and although we’d like to say the same about the Devotion, you might find energy ammo harder to come by. Perhaps more importantly, though, you need something to deal with enemies up close. One excellent option is the Eva-8 shotgun. Although the Peacekeeper is the superior shotgun against real opponents, the undead have such low health that the auto shotgun is the obvious choice. Pair this with a shotgun bolt and you’ll have the ultimate Shadow Squad-killing weapon. Better yet, shotguns and shotgun ammo seems to be fairly common in this LTM, so you shouldn’t have too much difficulty getting kitted out. Staying safe till the evac ship arrives Ok, so now you’re (hopefully) in the top 10. It’s time to simply stay alive until the ship comes in. There are a few tips here you can use to avoid the Shadow squad until you make the run for it. First, although the Shadow Squad has increased mobility, they also have very little health, so if you can get up somewhere high (using Pathfinder’s grapple can come in hand for this) and stay here, it will be very difficult for the undead players to reach you, and you can easily shoot them as they try to climb. One caveat to this though – as the undead respawn, they will get to fly back in from the sky, meaning they could spot you and land right next to you. So, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for both above and below you. The second option is to simply get in a building and close all of the doors. Shadow Squad players don’t have the ability to open doors, and so they’ll effectively be locked out from reaching you. They can smash down the doors by melee, but this way you’ll be able to hear them coming very easily. Making it to the Evac ship So, you’re now in the top 10 and the evac ship has arrived. Now it’s time to make your escape. This is where your choice of legend is even more important. Wraith is likely the best pick here. Whether you took height advantage of hid out until the ship arrives, you can now use your portal to reach the ship. When close enough, you’ll likely run into a swarm of the Shadow Squad. Here, simply pop Wraith’s tactical to avoid taking any damage, and you should be safe to make it if you time it right. The other good option is Pathfinder. Hopefully, you’ve managed to save up to earn his ultimate ability, and you can use a zipline to reach the ship. Even if you can’t take a zipline all the way, the grapple gun should help you to clear the rest. Correction: Shadow Squad can in fact use ziplines – so beware! Mirage is also a good choice here, for obvious reasons. Again, you’ll need to save up the ultimate ability. Try to stay out of sight until you are close enough, then go invisible and make a run for it. If you’ve chosen to play as Octane, then of course now is a good time to make use of his stim ability and jump pads to clear the distance faster. If you haven’t chosen one of these legends, you may find yourself in some difficulty to make the escape, so you’ll just have to make a run for it. Regardless, you should still avoid being the first to do so. Instead, try to scope it out from a safe distance, and let some of the other escapees act as a distraction, while you (hopefully) slip by unnoticed. To summarize: Pick a legend with good mobility or ‘escape’ abilities, land safe, get two suitable weapons and play it safe until the second circle. Try to stay up high or locked in a building until it’s time to run for the ship, then use your legend’s ultimate to make it. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) many players seem to leave the game as soon as they are put on the Shadow Squad team, meaning you can sometimes only have ten or so to deal with. Killing a few can help out, as they take a fairly long time to reach the map again due to their extended skydive. Using these tips should help you at least secure the top 10, and take out some of the undead on your way, contributing to your challenges. With the Shadowfall LTM only available until November 5, you’ll want to make the most of it.

  • TimTheTatman roasts haters claiming NICKMERCS is “falling off” for switching to Apex Legends – Dexerto

TimTheTatman roasts haters claiming NICKMERCS is “falling off” for switching to Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment / TimTheTatman / Under ArmorYouTube Gaming star TimTheTatman roasted haters that claim fellow streamer NICKMERCS is falling off for switching over to Apex Legends. NICKMERCS was one of the biggest streamers in Fortnite and Warzone but over the past few months, he has found a new home and love in Apex Legends. Despite getting fewer viewers per stream, he explained he’d rather enjoy himself than hate the game he is playing. Even though some people don’t agree with his decision, TimTheTatman clapped back at the haters that said NICKMERCS “fell off.” 🔥 @timthetatman speaking facts about people saying @NICKMERCS is “”falling off”” by playing Apex over Warzone. pic.twitter.com/Yj4lLFCgjv — Wicked Good Gaming (@WickedGoodGames) November 29, 2021 TimTheTatman defends NICKMERCS’ switch to Apex Legends While Tim was live, a viewer asked him why streamers like NICKMERCS moved away from games that made them big and he had the perfect response. “You have to do what you have to do for you. It doesn’t matter about the other people. If it’s better for you to play a certain game and you’re happier, play that game,” he said. The YouTube star thinks it’s important to put yourself first when it comes to streaming. He claimed that you need to be happy with what you’re doing and not let the viewers control that. He went on to defend NICKMERCS from all the trolls that claim he’s “falling off” because he gets fewer viewers on Apex Legends than on Warzone. Tim said, “If falling off is being a multi-millionaire with 20,000 viewers playing what he wants to play, I think those same people would sign that same contract.” In October, Nick signed a monumental deal with Twitch to remain exclusively on the platform. However, he has stated multiple times that money isn’t what drives him, but instead giving back to his MFAM community and enjoying his time while streaming.

  • TimTheTatman explains why he refuses to play Apex Legends anymore – Dexerto

TimTheTatman explains why he refuses to play Apex Legends anymore YouTube: TimTheTatMan / Respawn EntertainmentTimothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar has declared he has ‘no interest’ in grinding Apex Legends anymore and will be sticking with Warzone for the foreseeable future, with the battle royale’s “slow” gameplay a big reason behind his Call of Duty comeback. The battle royale war has been raging on unbridled for some time now on Twitch and YouTube, with hosts of star streamers choosing one title over another. In the past month or so, it looked like Apex Legends had become the clear favorite. Epic’s Fortnite had drifted to a clear third place in the three-way contest. Its fall has mainly been off the back of smaller events and updates. Warzone, on the other hand, had gone down in flames in August, sparked by waves of cheaters and bugs. With Fortnite and Warzone beginning to fall out of favor, stars like Dr Disrespect, NICKMERCS, CouRage, and Tfue all began regularly dropping onto Kings Canyon, Olympus, and World’s Edge, leaving Verdansk behind. Betar has shirked that trend, however, and returned to Warzone. The reason, he told Dr Disrespect during one of their recent YouTube duo streams, was because he’s tired of the Respawn battle royale and its slow gameplay. The pair were talking battle royales — mainly Apex Legends and its Call of Duty arch-rival — when TimTheTatman admitted he “actually enjoys playing Warzone” more. Dr Disrespect couldn’t believe his ears, especially considering he’s been a staunch voice against Raven Software’s flagship battle royale in the past few weeks, and suggest Timmy stay on the Apex Legends hype train for now. TimTheTatman had a simple response to that: “No.” The new YouTuber went on to explain his shock choice too. He has issues that run right through the core of the game, he said. They include problems with its ranked systems, gunplay, and how “rat” gameplay dominates the competitive scene. “I’m just not playing Apex,” he said on September 14. “I’m just not doing it.” “I don’t want to get two KP, rotate, go to the little beacon, find where the last circle is, wait until the last two teams fight. Then all of a sudden you have to start fighting. I said [to the two-time], no. ‘Nomegalul’, if you will. “I don’t get the Doc. He’s all about violence, speed, momentum. Apex is get a kill, then just focus on rotating. There’s no violence, speed. There’s no momentum!” 🔥 @timthetatman with a hot take on why he won’t play #ApexLegends pic.twitter.com/WtVeTUKC6U — Dexerto (@Dexerto) September 13, 2021 Timmy’s relatively short interest in Apex Legends and its competitive scene would come as no real surprise for fans of the Twitch star turned YouTuber either. Back in May, the streamer declared Apex was “boring.” In fact, he went so far as to say he’d rather play Warzone or Fortnite in any given stream, citing gunplay, time-to-kill, and the way Respawn’s battle royale approaches defensive armor as reasons he’s been turned away. “I’m just going to flat out tell you; I don’t personally enjoy Apex Legends that much,” he admitted during a battle royale ranking video on May 28. “One thing is the time-to-kill [TTK]: the time-to-kill is very high. Obviously I like playing Warzone, so I’m very used to Warzone [but] I’m just not a fan of the gunplay. On top of that, Betar isn’t a fan of Apex’s armor system: “I don’t like it. I can rip your gold armor, then you swap it out, and you’re full again. I don’t enjoy that.”

  • TimTheTatman loses his mind after discovering insane Apex Legends glitch – Dexerto

TimTheTatman loses his mind after discovering insane Apex Legends glitch One of the rarest glitches in Apex Legends is also arguably the most shocking, and the reaction of ‘TimTheTatman’ after coming across it was exactly as you’d expect. Seeing as its not even a month old yet, it comes as no surprise that Apex Legends is still full of bugs and glitches that affect regular gameplay. While many of these glitches are relatively insignificant, there is one that is certainly game-breaking as it allows players who have been knocked down to still fire their weapon. While players who do get knocked in Apex Legends can still do a variety of actions, such as crawl around, use their Knockdown Shield, and use the Ping system, firing their weapons or throwing explosives is most certainly not included in that list. https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/shocking-apex-legends-bug-threatening-ruin-game-365629So it’s not hard to understand why TimTheTatman was so shocked and mindblown when experiencing the glitch for himself while playing with fellow content creators DrLupo and ItsFearItSelf. During a gunfight with an enemy team, Tim was knocked and began expressing his frustration only to stop when he realized that he was able to continue using his weapon from the knocked down position. Read More: Every major balancing issue currently affecting Apex Legends and how each one can be fixed – What proceeded was total chaos as the streamer bellowed in excitement and surprise while he crawled around and fired shots at enemy players, all while his chat was blowing up in equal delirium. Despite the very comical and entertaining nature of the clip above, there’s definitely some cause for concern as this particular glitch has now been in the game for nearly a month. After seeing its effects in action, one can immediately understand how broken the glitch is and why the developers at Respawn Entertainment should place high priority on finding a fix for it before it further ruins the integrity of the game. Have you come across this bug yet in Apex Legends? If so, were you the downed player or the one that got shot at by a downed player. Let us know by tweeting us @Dexerto and sharing any experiences and/or game clips you may have.

  • TimTheTatman explains where Apex Legends falls short of Warzone and Fortnite – Dexerto

TimTheTatman explains where Apex Legends falls short of Warzone and Fortnite Respawn/TimTheTatmanTop Twitch streamer Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar has explained why he doesn’t enjoy Apex Legends as much as other top battle royale titles like Warzone and Fortnite. These three games are currently considered the juggernauts of the battle royale genre. While Apex probably isn’t quite as popular as Fortnite or Warzone, it still has a huge, dedicated player base that adores it, and for good reason too. It’s incredibly unique in the BR world, with a diverse pool of characters and abilities to be utilized. That said, the game just doesn’t hit quite the same as Warzone or Fortnite for Tim, and he took some time to explain why that was the case during a Twitch stream. While ranking battle royale games into a tier list, Tim joked that Apex is ‘D-Tier’ before moving it and going a bit more in-depth on his feelings towards the game. “I’m just going to flat out tell you why I don’t personally enjoy Apex that much,” he told his stream while deliberating over its ranking. “One: The time-to-kill (TTK). The time-to-kill is very high. Obviously, I’m playing Warzone right now, so I’m very used to Warzone.” He continued: “Another thing that I don’t enjoy is the armor system. What I mean by that is that I don’t like that you can have gold armor, I can rip your gold armor, and then you can swap out for another gold armor and you have full armor again.” Timestamp 8:32 Tim’s final point was a simple one: the gunplay. He compares it again to Call of Duty, which is vastly different, saying that he simply “doesn’t like” the gunplay in Apex. Tim does go on to put it in the A-Tier, ahead of most of the competition, due to how it introduced so many great features to the battle royale genre. This includes the reboot/revive downed teammate systems in most BRs now, the Ping system, and he even adds that the movement is “great.” So, Tim clearly doesn’t hate Apex by any means. These things obviously always come down to opinion, and while Tim pinpoints several factors that he feels are drawbacks, there’s definitely some admiration for what Apex has done and continues to do.

  • TikToker plays Apex Legends for first time and gets luckiest ever pack – Dexerto

TikToker plays Apex Legends for first time and gets luckiest ever pack Respawn Entertainment / TikTokA first-time Apex Legends player hit the jackpot on TikTok by scoring one of the luckiest pack pulls imaginable. In Apex Legends, players are constantly on the hunt for the game’s hard-to-find Heirlooms. These unique cosmetic items are some of the most beautiful in the game and can make Legends stand out from the crowd in a big way. These very rarely appear in packs, with some players having to open hundreds before having such luck. But, one TikToker hit the jackpot on his first-ever pack, sure to make any long-time player jealous. TikToker opens first Apex Legends pack to major surprise Call of Duty TikToker and content creator, matcrackz, has recently hopped over to try Apex Legends, one of CoD’s major competitors. Upon switching over, he immediately went to go open up one of the game’s packs, hardly knowing what to expect himself as a new player. To his confusion, and the chat’s shock, the streamer got an absolutely amazing first pack, containing all Heirloom Shards. After getting over 6.7 million views and being shared around countless times, it’s safe to say that everyone was just a little bit amazed at the streamers insane luck. The top comment on the video joked, “Bro. Those rocks are so bad. I’ll buy your account for $1 so you don’t feel like your time was wasted 😳😏😅.” Many would likely pay much more than one dollar for those shards, and the crazy thing is, his luck didn’t run out there. In his other videos, he’s seen getting more Heirloom Shards and Wraith’s Kunai, which has been one of the game’s most coveted items since launch. While these did not take place in sequential order, the luck he’s having in this video is sure to make tenured Apex Legends players drool. But with Season 12 just beginning, there’s no better time for players to hop back into the BR and see if their luck can be anything like this TikToker’s.

  • Three ways Crypto needs to be buffed in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Three ways Crypto needs to be buffed in Apex Legends Apex Legends players have been learning the ins-and-outs for Crypto since he launched at the start of Season 3, leading some players to think he could use some buffs. Respawn Entertainment has been steadily growing its cast of Apex Games competitors, with the latest being a Recon class known as the Surveillance Expert. While players found his Drone to be incredibly useful to scout out regions ahead, there are some who wish the airborne bot could have come packaged with a bit more utility to make use of on World’s Edge. To give the Surveillance Drone added functions to its utility belt, Reddit user ‘greetthemoth’ gave three ways to buff Crypto’s ability kit. To start, they would update the Drone’s mechanics so that activating Q (Tactical ability) would drop the drone. It would protect Crypto and his team by “aiming behind [the player].” Reactivating Q would give the player control of the Surveillance Drone to use it as a recon like usual. Greetthemoth thinks the proposed Crypto buffs would go a long way to add “more immediacy and tacticality to his kit” while letting players have a way to activate the Legend’s Ult without leaving combat. The second buff gives players a way to rummage through Death Boxes from afar. The change would give the Drone the capability to sift through boxes and ping the loot inside. “[The buff] brings Crypto’s info-gatherer aspect to a whole new level,” they said, which would give teams a much safer avenue to path out how the want to navigate the battlefield. Combined with the first buff, skilled players would be able to loot in one direction while systematically moving the drone the other way to see which Death Boxes are worth opening. The third buff doesn’t really introduce a new concept, instead Pathfinder’s passive Insider Knowledge is brought into Crypto’s ability kit. They go further to suggest that Insider Knowledge should be something that Wattson or Crypto should have in the first place, instead of Pathfinder. Either way, these ideas would go a long way to improving Crypto’s capabilities, and open up more ways for Apex Legends trios to make use of him.

  • Three things Respawn can do to turn Apex Legends into a serious Fortnite rival – Dexerto

Three things Respawn can do to turn Apex Legends into a serious Fortnite rival There is no denying how successful Apex Legends has been in its very early stages, but it still has a long way to go to even be mentioned with Fortnite Battle Royale. Released on February 4, Apex Legends has been the talk of the town in the online gaming community, and it’s managed to reach 10 million users in a record breaking amount of time. There are several reasons as to why Apex Legends has been so successful in its early stages, such as the fact that it’s free to play on three major platforms, it was announced, revealed, and released all on the same day, and publishers EA have recruited a lot of prominent streamers to play and promote it. At this point, it’s virtually impossible to gauge for how long this kind of success can be sustained, and whether or not the game will ever become a true rival of Fortnite. Read More: EA respond to concerns that Apex Legends could hurt Battlefield 5’s Firestorm battle royale – While no method is guaranteed, there are three steps that Respawn Entertainment can take to lengthen this spell of success and try and turn Apex into a serious threat to Fortnite’s monopoly over the battle royale community. Respawn can emulate this strategy by constantly updating both content and gameplay, meaning they should always be looking to add, remove, and/or change items, weapons, and mechanics to always keep the player-base on the edge of their seat. $200,000 Apex Legends Challenge featuring popular streamers.

  • This Titanfall attachment might be perfect for the G7 Scout in Apex Legends – Dexerto

This Titanfall attachment might be perfect for the G7 Scout in Apex Legends Apex Legends takes place in the same universe as Titanfall and a number of weapons and attachments appear in both games. The G2 rifle in Titanfall was not classified as a sniper, but its Apex Legends G7 successor is. The has struggled to find a use in Apex, since it is outclassed at long ranges by the Longbow and even the Triple Take with enough attachments. At closer ranges, it isn’t much of a match for the fully auto options players have available to them. The disappointing performance of the G7 has led some Apex fans to search for ways to improve it, and the best answer might be an attachment from Respawn’s previous game – Titanfall 2. Since the G2 was in the Auto Rifle class, Respawn gave it a modification to help in mid to close battles, the Match Trigger. As requested by reddit user nthdayoncaprica, the Match Trigger eliminates the fire rate cap of semi-auto weapons, allowing you to fire as fast as you can click your mouse or pull your triggers. The concept of increasing fire rate already exists in Apex Legends, notably on the Prowler SMG and Devotion LMG, so the Match Trigger would not be out of place on the G7. The G7’s significant bullet drop at range might still lead snipers to look for a Longbow, but the Match Trigger could give the G7 an actual role in the mid to long ranges.

  • This simple Apex Legends HUD redesign could greatly improve looting – Dexerto

This simple Apex Legends HUD redesign could greatly improve looting A quick redesign to the HUD in Apex Legends would drastically cut down the time needed to communicate between squadmates while looting. Players who have spent a ton of time in King’s Canyon have grown accustomed to looting as quick as possible to stay ahead of the competition, but organizing ammo within a squad has proven to be a huge pain. In a Reddit post, user ‘Bitchaloid’ drew up a couple of concepts that show a much more streamlined design for teams to communicate what ammo type they have. Though it’s a small change, the different concepts include a couple of ways on improving the current HUD in Apex Legends by adding ammo icons or a minimalistic design for better viewing. In their concept design, the ammo icons would be clearly shown next to the player’s in-game name to the right of the mic icon. The other design simply shows a two-toned vertical bar representing the distinct colors of the different munition types of the weapons being carried. It also helps that the ammo icon placement is right next to where players would be able to see if someone on their team started shooting. The ammo icons are distinct enough to make them out on the fly if they were located on the HUD. Some commenters found the change a bit unneeded since a simple voice comm could easily transmit the info in the concepts, but players have found that talking to teams with mics isn’t always ideal. “The voice chat sound quality in this game is so shit, 90% of the time I can’t even understand what my teammates are saying…” Bitchaloid said in reply to someone who suggested just vocalizing ammo needs. “I really can’t see a reason why NOT to have this in the game, it’s a simple quality of life thing.” Since launch, Apex Legends has given players ample amounts of communication features, primarily a bevy of pings for different aspects of the game. But adding ammo icons to the HUD would do away with the need to check and double check with someone on what gun type they’re equipped with. Players looking to have information about their squad more readily available could have a huge use for the added icons in the HUD.

  • This simple Apex Legends change would make collecting squad banners easier – Dexerto

This simple Apex Legends change would make collecting squad banners easier Usamaname via RedditAn Apex Legends player has come up with an idea for an update that would make collecting player banners and avoiding teammates’ loot from death boxes much easier. In the aftermath of a firefight in the Apex Games, an area is often littered with loot boxes for players to sift through, so it would be helpful to have an indicator so you can readily tell friend from foe. That’s what Reddit user ‘olands1’ found when he showed how a skirmish can leave multiple boxes in a close vicinity. It sounds great for a player who is looking to loot up, but it could be a nightmare for a team in tatters. Olands1 said that he confusion that a skirmish causes leads some players to “wish there was a visual indicator for a teammate’s death box.” Even though fallen teammates can already ping their crate, making an icon appear above the friendly stash, they run into the issue of an empty death box after being revived. The user explained how their fix would work. “I’m referring to a visual glow or something, so after his banner has been picked up or he’s being revived, it’s clear which box is his so you don’t accidentally loot.” Their design for the idea shows a purple death box with a green glow outlining the object. Among the field of other stashes, it’s easy to depict which one is a teammate’s box. Players brought back from elimination often return to the battlefield without any meaningful gear since the game revives you with nothing, and your teammates have a head-start on you to the nearest loot stashes. While you could easily communicate which one of the boxes is yours with your squad, the call could sometimes go by the wayside if you’re trying to loot up fast in a clutter of boxes. “I feel like this would stop a lot of teammate looting too,” user ‘Ysil69’ responded. “When someone’s going through death boxes they generally aren’t looking for nametags” If there was some sort of indicator to make it clear which death box belonged to the revived teammate, then it would go a long way to making sure they don’t come back to the Apex Games empty-handed.

  • This Apex Legends Wraith cosplay might be the best yet – Dexerto

This Apex Legends Wraith cosplay might be the best yet Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have created some incredible outfits inspired by their favorite characters since the game released, but this Wraith-inspired cosplay might be the best yet. The playable legends in Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale title seem to have quickly developed their own cult followings in the cosplay community, in a similar fashion to that of the heroes in both Overwatch and League of Legends. Spiralcats Tasha attempted to recreate the exact look of Apex’s whirlwind fighter Wraith and after posting it on social media, it has been met with open arms by members of the game’s online community. Showing off the Wraith cosplay The cosplayer, who has pulled off several impressive outfits inspired by League of Legends and PUBG in the past, posted an image of herself wearing the Wraith costume to Instagram on April 5. The post has since received over 3,000 likes on the platform and has surged in popularity on the Apex Legends subreddit, with one fan claiming it was “the most accurate wraith cosplay” they have seen so far. A better look at this Apex Legends cosplay One fan was a little more skeptical about the quality of the design. “Hard to tell what’s actual costume given how much Photoshop is visible,” the user posted. Read More: The Ultimate Apex Legends Quiz – However, the comment didn’t go unnoticed as Spiralcats Tasha responded by posting a plain image of the cosplay design – allowing people to see a clearer view of the outfit. “I’ll be damned, that is quite impressive!” the same user replied. This isn’t the only impressive Wraith cosplay to be created since the game’s shock release back in February, though, as Lisa ‘lisamancinerh’ Mancini also brought Wraith to life with incredible detail on March 13. Whether or not Spiralcats Tasha’s is the best Apex Legends cosplay created so far isn’t really for us to say. We’ll let you decide!

  • This Apex Legends Vantage play is so good it could be in a trailer – Dexerto

This Apex Legends Vantage play is so good it could be in a trailer Respawn EntertainmentA Vantage main has already gone viral in the Apex Legends community and their insane play is worthy of any trailer Respawn Entertainment has put out. With Apex Legends Season 14 finally out, players are seeing what the new Legend, Vantage, is capable of. Though Vantage can prove a bit tricky to play thanks to her reliance on snipers, she still has plenty of utility for aggressive players. One player perfectly demonstrated this utility in a now-viral clip, which shows off an amazing squad wipe from start to finish. Vantage player pulls off perfect squad wipe The play comes from Reddit user Common_Ad1866 who made a post on the Apex Legends subreddit titled “Respawn should hire me for their trailers.” The 28-second clip shows the Vantage player on King’s Canyon tracking two players from atop a high perch. Vantage spots an Octane and Pathfinder running through the field using her Ultimate Ability, and is able to hit two long-range snipes on Octane. Next, the recon Legend deploys Echo to leap towards the injured Octane and sees that the Octane player used their jump pad to gain some distance. Seeing the opportunity provided by the jump pad, Vantage pivots and lands on the pad, hops over the Octane, and downs them with a hipfire spray from their Alternator. Finally, Common_Ad faces off against the Pathfinder in a 1v1 scenario. They use Vantage’s Ultimate to mark the Pathfinder and hit a 50-damage sniper shot. Common_Ad then approaches the Pathfinder and finishes them off for an expertly handled squad wipe. The community was impressed by the clip as well, which gained over 6,300 likes in less than a day, with over 130 comments praising Common_Ad’s skills.

  • This Apex Legends TikTok sketch has gone viral for all the wrong reasons – Dexerto

This Apex Legends TikTok sketch has gone viral for all the wrong reasons Respawn Entertainment / TikTokThere’s nothing wrong with showing a little gratitude when your Apex Legends teammate cleans up and saves the game. But it is possible to go too far, as this viral TikTok sketch showed. We’ve all been there, right? You get knocked on Apex Legends only for your teammate to clutch up and rescue the game, while you’re floundering around on the floor. If this happens, and especially around Thanksgiving, there’s no harm in telling your compadre that you appreciate them. Apex is a game of teamwork after all. But – as this hilarious viral TikTok showed – it’s possible to be a little too ‘thankful’ in the heat of battle. The sketch comes from TikToker and streamer, ankle_sprain, who has built up a strong following with his Apex Legends content. His latest clip titled “How to compliment your teammate when they clutch part four,” has racked up nearly one million views. In it, a squad member revives the player after finishing off a rival team. He wishes his saviour a happy Thanksgiving before things start to get downright weird. He tells his fellow player that he is thankful to have a “strong, sturdy, and girthy” teammate like him. It doesn’t get any better, as he then offers to feed to him turkey with his fingers. This is followed by an exchange involving pumpkin pie that we’d rather not repeat. The other player didn’t seem to be phased by his overly thankful teammate, clapping back with his own hilarious response before the clip abruptly ends. The video has instantly become ankle_sprains most successful post, amassing an impressive 185,000 likes and plenty of quality comments from users responding to the madness they have just witnessed. So, especially over the holiday season, don’t be scared to let a teammate know that you appreciate their hard work. Our only advice – don’t take it too far. • This Apex Legends Planet Coaster theme park is so good it could be a map – Dexerto

This Apex Legends Planet Coaster theme park is so good it could be a map YouTube.com/DoxNotchAn Apex Legends fan dedicated more than a year to build a Planet Coaster theme park that combines all of the various Battle Royale maps into one thrilling land of adventure and the final result is beyond good. There have been all kinds of Apex Legends fan content on the internet since the game was released back in 2019. From unbelievable cosplay to model weapons, just about anything you can imagine is out there somewhere. Of all the wacky things that have been designed, this map mashup featuring bits of Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, Olympus, and Storm Point takes players on a ride like no other. Apex Legends superfan designs a theme park that’s good enough to be its own map The park, Amber Rock Station, is designed by DoxNotch and aimed to incorporate a little bit of each battlefield and Legend into its core. From Gibby’s Gyro to Valkyrie’s Pilot Academy, every character up to Mad Maggie gets their own attraction of some kind. After taking a closer look around the premises, there are a lot of ideas that would work beautifully for an LTM mode where players get to spend some fighting their way around the course, activating rides as traversal and escape tools when things get too chaotic. While the track was initially previewed in a Reddit post, the complete overview is embedded below for ease of viewing. When talking about his experience, DoxNotch explained that building something this colossal was both difficult and satisfying. “This project took me nearly a year and a half to design and construct and I’m so stoked with how it turned out,” the YouTuber said. “I took elements from every map and fused them together to make something that I think is unmistakably Apex, but also new and unique!” It’s unlikely that Respawn would add this design directly into the game for a number of reasons. Still, it would certainly be cool to make a stop at Loba’s Cruiser Cocina before hitting Octane’s Oxtravaganza for a little bit of death-defying fun.

  • This Apex Legends fan predicted Ash’s Season 11 arrival two years ago – Dexerto

This Apex Legends fan predicted Ash’s Season 11 arrival two years ago Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ upcoming character, Ash, was predicted to arrive two years ago by one fan of the franchise to everyone’s surprise. The Apex Legends roster continues to grow year by year with Ash set to join the roster in Season 11. The character’s roots run deep in Titanfall 2, which the legends’ trailer beautifully showed off, and makes her an instant fan-favorite among players. Fan predicts Ash coming to Apex Legends Reddit user OhmyGhaul somehow made the prediction two years ago that Ash would eventually become a legend in Apex. “I’d love to see Ash become a Legend,” they said at the time. “She was one of my favorite characters from T2, and her story could be expanded in Apex… What abilities do you think she’s have?” Whether this was just wishful thinking or a true soothsayer moment isn’t for us to say but the foresight is impressive after two years and a host of other legends added to the game. When is Ash coming to Apex Legends? With a trailer released and the details of Season 11: Escape confirmed, fans can expect to play as Ash on November 2. We don’t know much yet about Ash’s abilities, however, Escape is just a few short weeks away. Players will know soon enough just what kind of a punch the Simulacrum will pack and how she’ll stack up with the other Legends. Season 11 looks to bring much more than just Ash. A new Tropic Island map looks like true paradise and may even be brighter and more colorful than the others we’ve seen thus far. Be sure to stay tuned for more Apex Legends content on our dedicated page and get ready for Escape, Ash, and the new map!

  • This Apex Legends concept would make Mirage’s ultimate more team-focused – Dexerto

This Apex Legends concept would make Mirage’s ultimate more team-focused An Apex Legends player has come up with a concept to improve Mirage’s ultimate ability. Being a class-based game, the subject of Legend balance is inevitably going to be a contentious one in Apex Legends. Though none so far have proven ridiculously powerful, leaving the choice more to preference than necessity, players have nevertheless identified certain Legends as being less useful than others. Many players place Mirage on the lower end of the spectrum, with his ultimate ability considered as one of the weakest in the game. In the live game, when he uses it clones will spawn in a ring around him while Mirage himself becomes translucent – harder to see, but still technically visible if you keep track of him. During the stealth, Mirage cannot fire his weapons. In order to both make Mirage’s ultimate a little more powerful and allow it to interact with squad-mates more, u/ChineseCosmo has proposed a change that would cause decoys to also spawn for nearby team-mates. If any of Mirage’s team-mates are within a certain radius of him when he uses his ultimate, they would also spawn decoys that would spread outwards, with a varying number of decoys per player depending on how many the ultimate effected. This change would encourage a greater degree of synergy between players, as many of the game’s abilities already do, whereas Mirage’s kit is currently very much centered around himself. Others have suggested improvements such as simply making the existing decoys move, rather than stand in a circle as they currently do, or allowing Mirage to cancel his stealth in order to give him the option of firing back, rather than being stuck without a response in the event that he’s caught out. Respawn have yet to make any balance adjustments for Legends, and if their philosophy on such changes follows that of their weapon balance, it seems likely they won’t want to be too trigger-happy on updates. Nevertheless, with plans for new Legends to be added to the game throughout its lifespan, some adjustments may prove necessary to maintain balance, so fans hoping for an improvement to Mirage may eventually get their wish.

  • This Apex Legends character concept would give players a highly requested Titanfall ability – Dexerto

This Apex Legends character concept would give players a highly requested Titanfall ability Fans of Apex Legends have been making awesome new characters they think would be a great fit into the game, and a new creation would perfectly introduce another militant into the fray. Apex Legends includes a dynamic cast of playable characters each with unique backgrounds, which has inspired fans to create their own renditions for combatants they’d want to see in the game. Reddit user ‘IronVigilance’ created a yet-to-be-named but awesome character from one of their comics who would actually translate incredibly well into the Apex Games. The envisioned character shares a lot with Bangalore. Character Abilities Passive: Survival Reflexes – increases reload speed when health is below 50% – Tactical: Wallrunning – Activates Jump Kit to allow wall running for 10 seconds. – Ultimate: Cluster Grenade – throws a grenade that splits into 5 smaller bombs. – Similar to a Legend such as Bangalore, IronVigilance envisioned a character with deep training in weapons, munitions and the like to create a fierce Assault class-type who would add some serious firepower to a squad. The Redditor even added lore and a detailed rundown of their concept’s kit which revealed the character to be the commander of a highly trained grouped called the RIPPER team. Their character touts a clutch passive called Survival Instincts which increases the reload speed as soon as they fall under 50% health. The added effect would be a godsend in heated engagements, or if pinned down and having to split aggro. There are more intricate passives in other members of the Apex cast, but in a tight situation, IronVigilance’s Legend could be an almost consistent source of fire if taken to low HP. Concept from IronVigilance’s comic that give a look at what their Legend could take after. The design also included a Tactical Ability that Titanfall players have been missing in the form of Wallrunning. Upon activation, the character’s Jump Kit would fire on, opening a 10-second window to stride across vertical surfaces. Wallrunning was an integral part of Respawn Entertainment’s previous shooter but has yet to make an appearance in Apex Legends. Executive Producer Drew McCoy even touched that the ability could “hurt the strategic and learnable aspect of combat.” The agile ability is the main component in IronVigilance’s design for his character, but a key factor would lie in the ability’s cooldown as well as the important 10-second timeframe the ability allows. Apex Legends has a wide array of popular characters to do battle with. Though some players would still be hard-pressed to keep track of IronVigilance’s concept design, it doesn’t seem the character would have too many escape options. Giving it worthwhile downsides which should balance out the ability to Wallrun. While the Tactical and Passive abilities aren’t strictly offensive powerhouses, the Ultimate really brings the heat with a Cluster Grenade. The ability would let a player throw “a grenade that splits into five smaller bombs.” The ability could seem underwhelming at first glance, but since it’s coupled with the proposed Wallrun, IronVigilance’s Legend could really lay down the heat from any angle in an instant when a fight unfolds. A complete Apex team needs a good balance of support and offensive abilities to have a variety of options and strategies when a battle breaks out. A character like this would excel as a lone wolf or flanking specialist, especially considering their high mobility and potential to make an instant impact on an engagement.

  • These new Ping options in Apex Legends would drastically improve team play – Dexerto

These new Ping options in Apex Legends would drastically improve team play The Ping system in Apex Legends is one of the most fundamentally important aspects of the game, and some players have come up with ways on how it can be further improved. How does the Ping system work in Apex Legends? The release of Apex Legends introduced mechanics into the world of battle royale that had never been seen before in the genre, one of which was the Ping system. The system allows players to mark, or “ping,” weapons, items, directions, locations, enemies, and pretty much anything else on the map, allowing teammates to coordinate a lot better among themselves. This system is especially useful for players who have queued with less than a full squad to communicate with others they may have been randomly matched with. Ideas for improvements to the Ping system Over the past few days, Apex Legends players have posted some ideas and concepts for how the Ping system could be further expanded and improved. There have been two very popular proposals on Reddit, the first of which suggests that options be added to the Ping wheel that would instruct teammates to hold their fire or retreat. This would allow teammates who are unable to communicate via voice chat to advise each other to avoid shooting at enemies and giving the team’s position, or perhaps even retreating from a gunfight so that they can heal up and regroup. The next popular concept was the addition of feature that would allow players to Ping the status of their Legend’s Ultimate Ability for teammates to see. Many of the Ultimate Abilities compliment each other well, and teammates often rely on each others’ Ult’s to help out the entire team. This way, players would be able to share the progress of how much their Ult has charged, or even to let teammates know that the ability is fully charged up and ready to go. Considering the fact that both of these ideas got a good amount of upvotes on Reddit, it would probably be safe to assume that not many players would mind if they were added to the game as new features. However, the big question is whether Respawn Entertainment is willing to make changes to their Ping system, although considering that the game is still so young, there’s definitely a possibility.

  • These Gold Magazines would be a perfect addition to Apex Legends Season 2 – Dexerto

These Gold Magazines would be a perfect addition to Apex Legends Season 2 Respawn EntertainmentOne Reddit user has suggested that popular FPS battle royale Apex Legends incorporates Gold Ammo Magazines into the game, which would enable a significantly faster reload animation. Apex Legends has exploded onto the battle royale scene since its February 2019 release, and is hurtling towards its second season, more details of which were released over the weekend at E3. As a battle royale, looting is a key aspect of Apex Legends. One item that can be found in Apex is better ammo magazines, that are found in increasing rarities of common, to blue (Rare) and purple (Epic) in line with most items in the game. However, there is not currently a gold (Legendary) version in the game, as there is with other items, such as Body Shields. Reddit user jimrei posted their take on gold magazines and the potential ability they would possess. As is customary in Apex, gold items benefit the user with a special ability on top of the purple variation. For example, the gold Knockdown Shield provides users with 750 damage protection (as the purple does), but also offers users the chance to self revive. The user suggests that a gold ammunition magazine would grant players a 25% reduction in reload time, on top of the extended number of shots it provides. It should be noted that the increasing rarities of magazines already provide a reduced reload time, but nowhere near the 25% reduction suggested on Reddit. The suggestion has proved itself very popular on Reddit, amassing over 14,000 upvotes at the time of writing. It’s possible we will see the addition of them into Season 2 of Apex Legends, as more information leaks about it. Given the fact Rare and Epic variations of the magazines already speed up reload time, it’s possible that they will grant an entirely new skill, such as regenerating ammo count over time. Regardless, it’s clear Apex players want to see Legendary magazines in the game soon, particularly given community complaints regarding a lack of new content.

  • These are the most popular Apex Legends Season 1 character picks – Dexerto

These are the most popular Apex Legends Season 1 character picks Graphics: Respawn EntertainmentSelecting Apex Legends characters to use is part and parcel of battle in Respawn Entertainment’s game, but fans might be a little shocked to see that preferences have changed somewhat throughout the course of Season 1. The popular free-to-play title has attracted over 50 million players since it launched out of nowhere on February 4, with a strong selection of characters to play from – many of which have become fan favorites. It goes without saying, at least for hardcore players of the game, that Wraith has already become the most played with legend the game has to offer, and that hasn’t changed throughout the course of the title’s first season. If anything, her position at the top of the standings has only strengthened, but the same can’t be said for other members of the roster. A new set of standings for the most popular legends has now been revealed, though. There have definitely been some interesting shifts, comparing to statistics recorded nearer the first season’s March 19 launch, as players decided to lean towards some legends rather than others. The most noticeable elevation is undoubtedly that of Pathfinder, who was sitting in fourth spot in the rankings in April with a percentage of 13.3% of gamers picking it as their main. As of the time of writing, though, the robot has soared into second spot, overtaking both Octane and Lifeline with a new total of 19%. Lifeline (3rd) and Octane (4th) has slipped down only slightly, with 16.4% and 13% popularity rates, respectively. Fans can take a look at the rest of the player preference chart below, which has been provided by PlayApex.net. Most popular Apex Legends character standings (June 21) Wraith – 23% – Pathfinder – 19% – Lifeline – 16.4% – Octane – 13% – Bangalore – 12.6% – Bloodhound – 5.6% – Mirage – 4.5% – Caustic – 3.6% – Gibraltar – 2.2% – Of course, what is a top nine at the time of writing will soon become a top ten, with the addition of a brand new legend at the start of Apex Legends Season 2. The long-awaited addition of Wattson will finally take place on July 2, when the season is set to get underway, and there have already been a number of exciting details revealed her abilities and backstory. Whether or not the upcoming addition will have an impact on the legends placed high or low on these standings is unclear, but one thing is for sure – people can’t wait to give her a try.

  • These 5 Wraith cosplays will blow Apex Legends fans away – Dexerto

These 5 Wraith cosplays will blow Apex Legends fans away Amplefire, YouTubeRespawn Entertainment might be experiencing some criticism for not adding more content to Apex Legends, but there’s certainly no shortage in cosplays coming from the community. A number of cosplayers have been posting their own unique take on many characters from Apex Legends, but the popularity of Wraith has skyrocketed ever since the game’s shock February 4 release. Now, after seeing hundreds posted on Reddit and other social media platforms, we have selected what we believe are the best five Wraith cosplays to date. So, in no particular order, let’s take a look at them… 1. Body painting mastery There have been some exceptional costumes put together by fans, but this body painting cosplayer went above and beyond with their outfit design. Its designer, KayPike, mixed things up and decided to do something that not many other fans have tried so far. Kicking the typical base skin to the curb, KayPike put together their very own version of the Void Specialist skin and the results were simply sublime. 2. Strike a pose! The second selection for our list is not just realistic in terms of its design, but also in the pose! It’s like somebody just copied and pasted the in-game legend in the real world. How this design was revealed to members of the Apex Legends online community is just as interesting as the costume itself, too, as a proud husband – who goes by the name of Daygao on Reddit – shared it to the game’s subreddit. Joking about why he thinks his wife suited the costume so well, he posted: “She fits the role very well because of her tiny hit-box (she is 5′ tall).” Jokes aside, though, there’s no denying that this is one of the best posted online since the game’s launch. 3. Editing masterclass! Of course, there are some amazing images of this costume to see online, but what really boosts this cosplay is the fact that it’s been dropped right into a scenario Wraith would find herself in. This design, which was uploaded to Instagram and other social media platforms in March by Lisa Mancini, was an instant hit with many fans reaching out to applaud its attention to detail. 4. Wraith and Caustic! These two outfits might well be as good as each other, but this is a list of Wraith cosplays so let’s focus on that one for now. This photo, as well as many others, were uploaded by Sam Skyler and show just how meticulously accurate the cosplayers have been in putting this design together. Whether or not this is the best one around isn’t really for us to say, but it’s definitely right up there in terms of accuracy. 5. Last, but not least… Some cosplayers would argue that the art of designing the outfits is in the pieces themselves, rather than the editing, but that cannot discredit this astonishing attempt of recreating Wraith. After it was posted to Reddit, some fans were skeptical. “Hard to tell what’s actual costume given how much Photoshop is visible,” one user posted, which was met with some cleaner photos being uploaded by designer Spiralcats Tasha. They looked very impressive, indeed. So, there we have it! This is our top five Wraith cosplays – in no particular order – and we would like to say a final kudos to all of the designers who brought this character to life. Did we miss any?

  • These 3 Legends are absolutely dominating Apex Legends’ ALGS Championship – Dexerto

These 3 Legends are absolutely dominating Apex Legends’ ALGS Championship RespawnWith two full days of the ALGS Championship 2023 locked in, the pro play meta and team composition is becoming abundantly clear – and there are three legends, in combination, that are by far the most dominant trio at the event. At the highest level, there’s always been a distinct list of legends used by the pro players in Apex, with the likes of Gibraltar, Seer, and Horizon historically popular picks. But, with the meta changing quite drastically ahead of the biggest event of the year, teams have quite clearly settled on a single team composition which is muscling all other legends out of the equation. Thanks to stats compiled by Apex Legends Status, we can see exactly what the best players in the world are favoring. Bangalore, Catalyst, Horizon meta at ALGS There are now two days worth of group stage matches to analyze, and looking at the stats, there is a clear winner in terms of team composition – i.e. the three legends most commonly picked by teams. While some teams have thrown in a Bloodhound, Fuse, or Gibraltar, three Legends are miles ahead. A whopping 42% of picks consist of Bangalore, Catalyst and Horizon. And even when another Legend is in the mix, two out of three of these characters are almost always in the team. You can see the top five most common team comps here: Bangalore almost always features, and for good reason – with the number of controller players now in ALGS, Bangalore’s smoke is used to disable their aim assist, putting them at a disadvantage in any gunfight. Meanwhile, Catalyst’s positional dominance is almost a must-have, especially in late-game situations. Horizon has always been a popular pick at the pro level, so it’s no surprise really to see her so high up. The biggest change versus earlier in the year, for example at the Split 1 Playoffs, is the total lack of Seer, who so far has only been picked in a total of seven games. Whereas he was previously in a number of compositions. Valkyrie too has seen her usefulness tanked, thanks to the addition of mobile respawn beacons and the removal of her scan when skydiving. Whether Respawn is happy with this clear dominance of three legends or not, remains to be seen, but the developers primarily balance Apex for the wider player base, as opposed to the pro level.

  • The easiest way to start wall running in Apex Legends – Dexerto

The easiest way to start wall running in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has discovered a technique that makes wall running with Octane’s Jump Pad even easier than ever before. Apex doesn’t allow you to wall run with the ease of Titanfall 2 or Lucio in Overwatch, but it is still possible to cruise around without touching the ground if you know what to do. Now, it seems the technique has been simplified even more with a new method that’s much easier to pull off than before if you get it down with a little practice on Octane. As shown by Reddit user ‘treereee,’ the first step is placing the jump pad as close as you can to the base of the wall you want to run on. It has to be a straight up and down, perpendicular wall too, slanted or angled ones won’t work. Next, you jump off the pad and simply hold the right or left strafe key (A or D on PC) and it should stick you to the wall, allowing you to motor around like it’s nothing. “Do not hold W (forward) whatsoever, just hold sideways, you can go around the entire wall just holding the sideways input,” treereee explained. “If you hold down crouch the entire time, it will guarantee you can get your slide off at the very end.” Not only does it put you up in an area of the screen a lot of players aren’t used to aiming at, but it also makes you move significantly faster, which just makes you an even harder target to hit. Once you get the technique down, it’s not hard to see how it would instantly be a major advantage during a fight, which is why a lot of users on Reddit are convinced Respawn will probably patch it out once they finally become aware of it (though they don’t seem to have patched out the original technique yet, either). If you’re a hardcore Octane player, there’s no reason not to have this little move in your arsenal, as long as Respawn hasn’t removed it, you never know when it could be useful.

  • The best Apex Legends Halloween costumes of 2019 – Dexerto

The best Apex Legends Halloween costumes of 2019 Halloween is upon us and the Apex Legends community has provided some of the most entertaining costumes in 2019. Dressing up in video game attire on the spooky holiday is nothing new, but this is the first Halloween since Apex Legends was released and the community is jumping at the occasion to cosplay their favorite characters. While a recent update saw the introduction of haunting skins in the game, here’s a look at some of the best Apex Legends costumes this Halloween. Starting with a great Mirage costume, this family pulled out all the stops to accurately recreate the Legend. The 11-year-old was stylishly dressed up as the stealthy character. From ski goggles to the altered garden gloves and even 3D-printed accessories, the attention to detail here is sure to be a standout at his local school. Doubling up with this next highlight, these cosplayers went all out in creating costumes for both Mirage and Lifeline. Even nailing the poses of their chosen characters, this duo perfectly embodied the figures and stood out as two of the most authentic gaming costumes this Halloween. One of the most adorable concepts of the season, this kid decided to dress as Bloodhound for Halloween, and the results are incredible. Committing completely to the attire, the costume even came equipped with Bloohound’s pet crow. One of the more unique costumes in the Apex Legends community, this design is modeled after Crypto’s foster sister Mila Alexander. After accidentally stumbling a dark Syndicate secret, Mila was supposedly murdered, leading to Crypto’s life on the run. That didn’t stop this cosplayer from bringing the character to life in a new way with one of the first Mila costumes ever. Perhaps the most amusing Apex Legends costume of all however, came from a developer at Respawn Entertainment who decided to dress up as one of the features he helped implement. That feature being a door. From Respawn CEO Vince Zampella to Producer Tina Sanchez, it’s safe to say that everyone at the company got a great kick out of this one. Most requested feature – door kick. • Tfue shows off how powerful ‘jitter aiming’ trick is for recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Tfue shows off how powerful ‘jitter aiming’ trick is for recoil in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: TfueTwitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has showcased why jitter aiming is so strong in Apex Legends and exactly how to perform the trick. Apex Legends is a competitive game at its heart and that means members of the community are constantly looking for ways to improve at the game. Whether that’s trying out new strategies, using meta weapons & Legends, or landing at locations that yield the most loot, there’s always something a player can improve on. One of the biggest struggles for a lot of new players and veterans alike is controlling the recoil of certain weapons. It is particularly difficult when using heavy or energy ammo guns, as most of them have a lot of kickback when being fired. Luckily, there is a powerful trick that can help control the recoil of these weapons, and it was demonstrated by Tfue during one of his Apex Legends Twitch streams. How to ‘Jitter Aim’ in Apex Legends During his September 6 stream, Tfue was practicing his aim in the Firing Range when he decided to show his viewers a little trick he uses to control the recoil of the Flatline and L-STAR. Before demonstrating the ‘jitter aim’ technique, he showcased how bullet spread affects certain weapons at long range. This makes it difficult to consistently land damage on opponents unless you can lower the recoil. That’s is where ‘jitter aiming’ comes into play. By drawing tiny circles with your scope as you fire, you’ll prevent a lot of the weapon’s kickback, making your shots laser beam accurate. Of course, this technique takes a lot of practice, but that small jitter as you fire will make all the difference when attempting to finish off a target at range. While ‘jitter aiming’ won’t turn you into an Apex pro overnight, it will significantly boost your ability to land shots at long range. Although most players discard the Flatline due to its heavy recoil pattern, as Tfue demonstrates, this trick turns it into a strong choice. Don’t forget to jump into the Firing Range to master this technique as it can be difficult to perform at first, but after you’ve got used to the jittering motion, you’ll see an immediate boost to your accuracy.

  • Terrible Apex Legends hacker humiliated after bamboozling themselves – Dexerto

Terrible Apex Legends hacker humiliated after bamboozling themselves Respawn EntertainmentAfter using Bangalore’s Tactical smoke, a terrible Apex Legends hacker managed to bamboozle themselves and run off the side of the map. Improving your gunskill and mechanics in Apex Legends can take a long time, especially if you’re a new player. While most of the community grinds out matches and puts in the hours in the Firing Range to get better, others prefer to take shortcuts and use third-party software. Although these hacks give cheaters pinpoint aim, they don’t make them any better at Apex Legends or improve their game sense, so they’re often some of the worst players in a lobby. Nothing outlines this better than a recent clip posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, which showcases a cheating Bangalore bamboozling themselves with their own smoke. Cheating Bangalore gets confused and falls off the map After being eliminated by a Bangalore using hacks in their match, Reddit user Hawkzyy decided to spectate the cheater and see their third-party software in action. Using Bangalore’s Tactical to cloak the vision of enemies, the hacker simply fired into the fog and was landing every single bullet. Unfortunately, this backfired after they lost their bearings in the smoke and started to panic. Instead of attempting to fight back, the Bangalore accidentally ran off the edge of the map while trying to escape. This is a prime example of how third-party software may make your aim pinpoint accurate, but it’ll never help you improve. While there’s no denying this post is funny, it does show hacking is still a huge problem in Apex and something Respawn needs to crackdown on. In standard matches, a lot of players will look over an occasional cheater, but in Ranked it can cause a huge amount of frustration. Let’s hope the devs can find a solution to the third-party software problem in the near future, especially in the top echelons of Ranked.
