  • Terrible Apex Legends bug creates instant death location on Storm Point map – Dexerto

Terrible Apex Legends bug creates instant death location on Storm Point map Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player encountered a bug on Storm Point map that sent them straight through the bottom of the map and directly to their death. As Season 13 for Apex Legends continues to play out, fans of the popular FPS have been exploring new updates as well as the new character, Newcastle. On top of an all-new character, Storm Point has received some massive changes including massive Downed Beast carcass players can battle inside of in the middle of the map. Although the changes to the map are exciting, one player encountered an unintended glitch on the map that ended their match instantly. Storm Point map glitch insta-kills Apex player Reddit user Chieres posted on May 24 a clip that instantly shot up to the top of the Apex Legends subreddit. The gameplay clip they posted showed Chieres playing Seer on Storm Point gliding directly through the ground, then under the map, then descending to their death. Chieres didn’t even have a chance to play out the match as the specific spot on the map was seemingly bugged, allowing them to grind right through it to their untimely demise. Their post was titled, sarcastically, “Thank you, Respawn, very cool.” The clip has amassed over 8,000 upvotes and 300 comments since it was posted. One user in the comment section has encountered a similar bug and said, “Similar thing happened to me last night, but instead of breaking through the floor, the landing animation never triggered, so I just watched Fuse torpedo into the ground and ricochet into a building at full drop speed. Had a good laugh.” This isn’t the only glitch that’s allowing players to get under Apex maps. One player discovered a way to get under the Olympus map, making this glitch more of a trend than previously believed.

  • Ten year-old Apex Legends prodigy carries ImperialHal in ranked match – Dexerto

Ten year-old Apex Legends prodigy carries ImperialHal in ranked match Joe Brady/ALGS | LilfredsonLilfredson, a ten-year-old Apex Legends player that’s been doing his best to climb all the way to Rank 1, just carried ImperialHal, a pro player he looks up to, to a big win in a Predator lobby. It’s been made abundantly clear in recent years that young players are no joke when it comes to competitive games like Valorant or Apex Legends. Some parents who work with their kids and allow them to put their all into being the best have seen some fantastic results. For instance, a young Valorant player by the name of Darxcio hit rank 1 at the age of 14, achieving a higher rank than players who have spent years trying to get there. Another child prodigy going by the name Lilfredson got matched up with ImperialHal in a ranked match and managed to clutch out a 1v3 situation not once, but twice in a single match, all with Hal cheering him on and recognizing the Apex Legends phenom’s skill. ImperialHal gets carried by a ten-year-old player in Pred lobby ImperialHal is one of the best players to ever touch Apex Legends. Between winning the first Apex Legends Split of 2023 and keeping TSM on the map as one of the most competitive organizations operating within Apex Legends, there’s a reason he’s one of the most popular players. It says a lot that he’s taken notice of Lilfredson, a young player who’s been putting some serious work into climbing the Apex Legends ranked ladder. Not only did Hal recognize Lilfredson, but he also got carried by him in some clutch scenarios lesser players wouldn’t have survived. Lilfredson managed to clutch two separate 1v3 scenarios where both of his teammates were down, ultimately carrying ImperialHal to victory. It’s not like Hal didn’t carry his own weight, with both players having almost 4k damage by the end of the match, but Lilfredson was ultimately the reason they took home the W. According to Fred’s father, getting to queue ranked with ImperialHal and Verhulst is a huge goal for him. If he keeps playing like this, Hal might be the one asking to get carried instead.

  • Team-swapping Apex Legends LTM could turn bitter rivals into allies – Dexerto

Team-swapping Apex Legends LTM could turn bitter rivals into allies Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players could be joining up with strangers to dominate the map thanks to this fascinating new Limited Time ‘Pack Wars’ idea. Limited-time modes often accompany big seasonal updates in a wide array of battle royale titles. From Fortnite’s popular Solid Gold playlist, to Warzone’s recent spin on the standard Trios playlist. Even Apex Legends jumped on the bandwagon over Halloween with the Shadowfall mode. After a while of playing nothing but Respawn Entertainment’s standard modes, one avid fan has devised a new LTM that could spice things up in Apex Legends. Pack Wars: A new Apex Legends LTM Dropping into the battlefield alone, this new suggestion from 1UpLegend would eventually see players teaming up, similar to an Infection-based mode from other popular FPS titles. Players would be given the option to ‘recruit’ enemies after they’ve been downed in combat. Instead of finishing them off and moving on, this option would bring them back into the fight as an ally. Downed opponents will appear with an indicator once they’ve been knocked. This should help distinguish between competing squads, and remaining solo players that are able to be recruited. The mode would cap each team at a maximum of four players, preventing one squad from overwhelming every other team by sheer size alone. How would this LTM play out? Similar to the likes of Shadowfall, this new idea eventually teams solo players together. Though in this playlist, your first time being downed could lead to an eventual victory run with a new squad. Rather than growing frustrated at an early death, in Pack Wars, it would only be the beginning of a full run-through any given match. There’s a chance that some players simply avoid the recruiting option and just outright eliminate all of their foes. However, when it comes down to the last few fights, and they’re the only solo player among a circle of full squads, it’s not going to be an easy battle. With the launch of Season 5 right around the corner, dedicated players could be in store for a big shakeup. Respawn Entertainment has introduced more and more LTMs throughout the course of Apex Legends, so perhaps there’s a chance that Pack Wars is on the horizon in the nearby update.

  • Team’s show of mercy backfires in Apex Legends clutch – Dexerto

Team’s show of mercy backfires in Apex Legends clutch Respawn EntertainmentA hilarious agreement between four Apex Legends players created one of the most bizarre finishes to a match, with a lone player coming out on top against a stacked 3v1. The Apex Legends community always come up with incredible concepts or ideas to make the game a bit more lively, and one of the strangest trends has been a melee rumble when players unequip all of the loot in their inventory. While not a requirement, some players can see it as an impromptu mini-game or even a challenge in and of itself. But sometimes teams can overestimate their chances of winning when partaking in these sort of fights. A small mercy turned into a savage comeback win. In a Reddit clip, user ‘willster191’ found themselves in a peculiar situation when their Apex Legends match was down to just them and a full three-man squad. After being allowed to revive, Willster made the customary gesture of repeatedly crouching before they started to drop everything in their inventory. Realizing what they were doing, the full squad acknowledged his challenge and followed suit, commencing the brawl which they dubbed “The Redditor’s 1v3.” Willster might be well-practiced in the art of Apex Legends melee since they were able to meet the challenge with flair. The 1v1 against Pathfinder was extremely close, but after dancing around a bit the Forward Scout was out for the count. Astonishingly, the other team let the player heal up before taking on the next contestant, but Willster was already in the groove. They landed four out of five swings on Wraith, to quickly cut it down to a 1v1. Going up against Bangalore, the player instantly landed their first three hits without getting touched. But it seems like the last player was feeling the pressure since they immediately retreated and sent some pot-shots toward the gunless Lifeline. The lone player was actually able to pull out the Fight Club-style victory and tipped their hat off to their competition. “Shout out to FainRaVen_Mixer, Jaedong222, and ViceroysNorth for being class acts throughout this,” Willster said. “Letting me heal between and generally not lasering me when things started looking bad.” This has to be one of the most bizarre wins in Apex Legends’ short history but the Champions screen was definitely deserved after going through the strange gauntlet.

  • Team Liquid leaves Apex Legends esports as ALGS exodus continues – Dexerto

Team Liquid leaves Apex Legends esports as ALGS exodus continues EATeam Liquid has become the latest team to leave Apex Legends esports, farewelling their team on December 15. It comes following Cloud9’s departure and a wider ALGS exodus, with a lack of support from EA cited as a leading reason. Apex Legends esports had a resurgence in 2022 with LAN events back on the calendar, but as 2023 approaches, many teams are reconsidering their place in the battle royale’s esports ecosystem. Cloud9 were the first major player to pull the plug, dropping their team mid-way through the ALGS Year 3 Split 1 season. Now with competition coming to a close, Team Liquid has also announced their intention to leave Apex Legends esports. There was no mincing of words in Liquid’s announcement. A lack of support from EA, plus a tightening of the budget, was the direct reason for pulling out of ALGS. “Though the writing has been on the wall, and on social media, we understand this is probably confusing given how well the team has performed, even after they lost Gildersons,” the organization said on December 15. “As with our experience in competitive PUBG, Team Liquid is an organization governed by the realities of this industry, both financial and social. On the financial side of things, the ALGS and how it is moving forward with monetization for teams simply doesn’t fit with our operations, and so we need to take our leave, though we take no pleasure in doing so.” Team Liquid had one of North America’s more successful ALGS line-ups. They finished second behind Reignite (now DarkZero) at the Stockholm 2022 Split 2 Playoffs, and also qualified for the ALGS Championship in Raleigh. The team had also qualified for the first LAN event of 2023, finishing in second behind TSM in the latest domestic ALGS regular season. They are due to compete in December 19’s NA finals, although it’s unclear if they’ll play under the Liquid banner. Liquid will still be committed to Apex Legends through content creators though, recently signing Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb as a streamer in November 2022 after his two year stint on NRG. They haven’t said goodbye forever either, with Liquid CEO Steve ‘LiQuiD112’ Arhancet stating the door is open for a return if more support is offered down the line. “We are always going to be big fans of Apex Legends, of ALGS, and of our former players too,” he said. “I can tell there’s a real love of Apex in the entire Team Liquid family, and so I wish that we could stay in the ALGS and make a long-term investment in our roster and the competitive scene. “But we strive to only participate in games where the developers support the teams, so the teams can support their players in turn. I’m hopeful that, one day, competitive Apex could follow that model and that we could return to the competition then.”

  • Team Liquid explain why they’ve dropped Blackout for Apex Legends – Dexerto

Team Liquid explain why they’ve dropped Blackout for Apex Legends Team Liquid have announced that they are closing their Blackout division, with the players instead turning their attention to Apex Legends. The organization’s Blackout line-up, which consisted of Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb, Gage ‘Caliburn’ Meyer, Thomas ‘Flanker’ Cook, and Brendan ‘Casper’ Marino will remain, and the team will also be looking to expand its Apex roster via a “Proving Grounds” initiative, through which skilled players can apply. Fans of the former Blackout players may have already noticed that their focus has been Apex Legends recently, with Rogue taking fourth place in the March 1 Code Red tournament. Read more: What settings and equipment do top Apex Legends players use? Shroud, Dizzy, Dr Disrespect and more – In the wake of the move, Rogue has explained why the team chose to refocus on Apex Legends, citing Respawn’s vocal support of esports compared to silence on the matter from Activision and Treyarch for Blackout. “The first thing would be that there wasn’t any interest from the devs for hosting any events or focusing on anything esport related for Blackout. It was mainly just third parties doing things on their own and supporting the scene. The devs never said anything, they hadn’t shown any interest, so when Apex Legends came out, and Respawn came out and said they would support the esport scene, most of the competitive Blackout players switched over. It didn’t help that Blackout is kind of struggling on PC either. Call of Duty has never been a big game on PC really, it’s always been primarily thought of as a console game, other than when it first came out back with Big Red and stuff like that. So there was no really big player count to hold over Twitch viewers and games would be dying out by 6pm or take forever to start, so it was a pretty easy switch for everybody.” When Blackout released, many considered it a revelation in the battle royale genre – more polished than the titles that helped popularize the mode originally, like Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, and a more classic first-person shooter compared to the third-person perspective, building mechanics, and other features that, while making Fortnite unique, might turn off players looking for a more traditional FPS take on battle royale. Unfortunately, after the initial wave of excitement, Blackout struggled to maintain its momentum. Comparatively, Apex Legends continues to break records at a remarkable pace, hitting 50 million players just a month after release – almost four times quicker than Fortnite did. It’s little wonder, then, that players are making the jump across to the new battle royale. Team Liquid aren’t the only major organization to invest in Apex Legends. While exactly what the game’s competitive scene may ultimately look like remains a mystery, the likes of NRG Esports, 100 Thieves, and Cloud9 have also signed top players in the wake of the game’s explosive popularity.

  • Talented 9-year-old Apex Legends player reaches Predator rank in Season 16 – Dexerto

Talented 9-year-old Apex Legends player reaches Predator rank in Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentA talented 9-year-old Apex Legends player has stunned the community by reaching Predator rank in Season 16. While Apex Legends is played casually by a lot of players, some members of the community prefer to take their games extremely seriously. For them, Ranked queue is perfect as it allows them to test out their skills against opponents of a similar level and climb up the leaderboard. The majority of competitors sit at around Silver, Gold, and Platinum, with some incredibly skillful competitors reaching Diamond and Master. However, only the best of the best reach Predator, as there are a limited number of spots. So, when it was revealed that a 9-year-old managed to hit Predator in Season 16, it left a lot of players completely speechless. 9-year-old Apex Legends prodigy hits Predator rank 9-year-old Apex Legends player and YouTuber Lilfredson managed to hit Predator on February 20 after a long grind to the top of Ranked. The young prodigy duo queues with his Dad but certainly doesn’t get carried, putting up impressive damage numbers and kills in every match. Choosing controller over MnK, Lilfredson’s aim is impressive and he uses movement to his advantage to dodge bullets and outplay his foes. There’s even a clip on his channel of him taking down Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona’s squad, making short work of the pros during an intense gunfight. As Lilfredson is so young, he’s got so much more time to refine his skills and get even better over the next few years. It’ll be interesting to see whether he can maintain his Predator rank throughout Season 16 and establish himself as a top player at only 9 years old.

  • SypherPK baffled by Apex Legends bug that cancels Revenant’s Ultimate – Dexerto

SypherPK baffled by Apex Legends bug that cancels Revenant’s Ultimate Respawn EntertainmentTwitch streamer Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan was baffled to see an Apex Legends bug in action that instantly deleted Revenant’s Death Totem out of nowhere. The glitch seems to be a clipping issue with nearby terrain that makes the Synthetic Nightmare’s ultimate ability disappear as soon as it’s placed, making it impossible for players to access the totem’s reviving abilities. While it seems to work normally in most instances, there are types of geography and terrain near buildings that seem to be the most prevalent spots for the bug to reappear – costing players a crucial ultimate. Sypher seems to have come across that issue during his foray into Season 4 when his team was getting pushed by an incoming squad. The streamer ran for cover to set up his ult to give his teammates a second chance at life in case the first attack didn’t pan out. Moving as far in cover as he could place the Death Totem down, SypherPK was confused to see that the ultimate ability didn’t even have a chance to appear on the map. Looking at the clip, it seems like he placed it on the ground just below the metal walkway of the mobile unit right next to him. That probably caused some issues for the totem to expand upward and reveal itself on the map. Even walking around to see under the metal flooring, Sypher and his team couldn’t see any trace of the ult. More players have been talking about the issue as they’ve come across it, and the lead up to the bug seems to be similar to the streamer’s clip. “[The bug just] happened to me mid-game,” one user wrote. “Lost a fight cause my squad and I couldn’t deploy the shadowy bois.” Revenant’s ult can easily make or break a fight, so players should be aware that placing it near some kind of obstruction or sketchy terrain could influence that totem. Until Respawn can implement a fix to the issue, it’s best to spawn the Death Totem in a clear and even patch of land to make sure nothing goes wrong with it.

  • sweetdreams merges ALGS slot with Stallions, opening door for Oversleepers to join league – Dexerto

sweetdreams merges ALGS slot with Stallions, opening door for Oversleepers to join league Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSChristopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton has merged his ALGS slot with another team, leaving a spot open for Oversleepers to join the league. The Apex Legends esports off-season is still going strong as sweetdreams has revealed that he is merging his slot, previously belonging to NRG Esports, with another free-agent squad, Stallions. This brings together sweetdreams, Nathan ‘Nafen’ Nguyen, Nicholas ‘Fuhhnq’ Wall and ‘Slayr’ all together on one squad. sweetdreams and Nafen have been a limbo since NRG left Apex Legends Esports after the 2023 season concluded. The player hinted that other esports organizations were interested in signing an ALGS squad, however, it does not seem like his squad has been able to secure a contract. Because of the merger, the North American ALGS pro league had an extra slot open that needed to be filled. According to Oversleepers, the unsigned squad has a spot in the league for the 2024 season. ALGS adds Oversleepers to ALGS NA Pro League Oversleepers is a squad consisting of former Splitgate pros ‘JP’ and ‘Charmander’ with young up-and-comer ‘Vodery’ as their third player. The other team rumored to be joining the league after the merger was the Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff-led team Tripods. “OH MY GOD WE MADE PRO LEAGUE,” Vodery said on social media after receiving the news. While Oversleepers did not qualify for ALGS through the Pre-Season Qualifiers, the team did have some impressive results. Across the four weeks of play, the team placed in the top 20 three times and even recorded a fifth-place finish in week three. While some fans might be disappointed that Tripods were not invited into the league, there is still time for more teams to merge and open up spots for the squad. The North American ALGS competition kicks off on January 19 and will be the start of the first year of play with partnered teams.

  • SweetDreams catches top Predator players boosting in Apex Legends Ranked – Dexerto

SweetDreams catches top Predator players boosting in Apex Legends Ranked Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player Christopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton caught a set of top Predator players unfairly gaining RP by boosting in Ranked. As Apex Legends is a battle royale, coming out on top and taking home the victory will always be the goal for every single competitor in a match. Although a lot of players are satisfied with standard games, others prefer to raise the stakes and queue for Ranked in the hopes of rising up through the tiers. While the majority of the community works hard to improve their skills, some players prefer to take shortcuts and unfairly boost with another enemy squad for RP. This has become a major problem in Ranked and during a recent stream, Apex pro player sweetdreams caught a squad of top Ranked Predators red-handed cheating to climb the ladder. Top Predators caught red-handed boosting in Ranked As showcased by Zipp, during a recent Ranked stream, NRG pro sweetdreams was eliminated from a match but happened to run into a set of boosters on the spectate screen. Immediately shouting that he’d caught them “red-handed”, sweet was shocked when he realized that one of them was Rank 31 on the Predator ladder for console. Dropping meds and using Wattson fences to eliminate themselves, the boosters were maximizing the amount of RP they would receive from the match. Labeling them as “sad” and calling for them to be banned, it’s obvious that sweet and his squad are hoping that Respawn sees the clip and takes action against the cheaters. Topic starts at 0:54 While third-party software can be identified by Respawn through the game’s anti-cheat, boosting is a lot harder to detect and punish. Unfortunately, cheating for RP undermines the Ranked experience for other players who are attempting to climb the ladder fairly. Let’s hope the devs can get a foothold on boosting in the near future, as the issue appears to be getting worse as time goes on.

  • sweetdreams calls for better spending from EA amid org exodus – Dexerto

sweetdreams calls for better spending from EA amid org exodus Joe Brady/ ALGSFormer NRG Esports player Christopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton called for better spending from Apex Legends developer EA on its esports circuit as multiple teams exit the title. EA has come under fire from fans, players and esports organizations as teams have started to exit the Apex Legend Global Series. Some orgs that have left have cited EA’s unwillingness to support them as their main reason for leaving the esport. However, some org heads have said EA is doing the best they can and is not that bad compared to other developers. Some players have also said as much, like former NRG player sweetdreams. In a recent live stream, the pro player discussed how the esports landscape has changed over the years, and how EA could better spend its money to promote the longevity of the game. sweetdreams lays out plan for EA in Apex esports sweetdreams started the discussion by explaining how much EA must spend on operating a battle royale esport, from paying for production and broadcast costs to team travel and prize pools. “I feel like we are right at the brink of it getting a little delusional with how much we’re asking EA to pay,” he said. Trenton ‘lou’ Clements, who was doing with the player, agreed and said he wouldn’t want to have more money allocated to the prize pool either. sweetdreams then suggested some better ways for the developer to spend its money. “$500,000 spent on developing regions, developing orgs and players to satiate the Tier Two pro scene and the feeder system of the pro scene is worth more than $500,000 in raw prize pool,” he said. The pro also said EA should start putting more of an emphasis on their pro scene as he thinks Apex Legends is close to where CS:GO was in terms of popularity. The Valve title was bleeding streamers on Twitch and only seemed relevant once the big tournaments started, and Apex could be on its way to that cultural spot as well according to sweetdreams. “Without ALGS, Apex is not going to be a game where a lot of people are talking about it on social media and Twitch clips and stuff like that,” he said. Whether EA or Respawn will change up how they operate following the recent backlash and exodus of multiple esports orgs, has yet to be seen.

  • sweet confirms NRG Apex Legends roster is splitting up amid ALGS exit – Dexerto

sweet confirms NRG Apex Legends roster is splitting up amid ALGS exit Joe Brady/ALGSIn an on-stream conversation discussing his future with NRG leaving Apex Legends, sweet confirmed that the full roster won’t be sticking together and that they’ll be going their separate ways. Though they weren’t able to claim a big international title while they were playing in the ALGS, NRG’s Apex Legends team has certainly come close and their high level of skill really showed. They had a big following for a reason. The way NRG exited the ALGS left fans of the team wondering if they’d be able to see this roster re-united under a new banner in 2024. However, Christopher ‘sweet’ Sexton has confirmed otherwise. While he plans to keep playing, sweet confirmed that the team felt the need to “mix things up” and that, while two of them may stick together, there’s no chance that the three of them will be on the same roster. NRG sweet confirms the team is splitting up after ALGS exit While the trend of big esports orgs leaving Apex Legends over the past year or so has many scared for the future of the esport, there are still many teams looking to field rosters and get the best players under their banner. As such, every member of NRG is bound to be a hot commodity now that they’re up for free agency. Not only do they perform well, but a player like sweet also has a strong brand and a good on-stream presence that makes him an obvious choice for prominent orgs. Though sweet has confirmed he intends to play in 2024, he doesn’t see the team sticking together next year. “Two of us might stick together in some capacity, but we’re definitely gonna mix it up a little bit. I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t a couple issues for our team to cohesively play, so we’ll go from there. I’m excited to see what happens, excited to find a new home, but, more importantly, excited to keep playing Apex.” It isn’t yet clear where sweet, Nathan ‘Nafen’ Nguyen, or Zachary ‘Gild’ Dennis will end up in 2024 if all of them land a spot on new teams.

  • Surprise Post Malone event in Apex Legends revealed – Dexerto

Surprise Post Malone event in Apex Legends revealed RespawnRapper, singer, and songwriter Post Malone is set to have his own event in Apex Legends in November. It’s no secret that Post Malone loves gaming. In the past, we’ve seen the 28-year-old show his devotion as a hardcore gamer, even going as far as getting a Marvel Snap tattoo. It’s fair to say the American rapper enjoys card games, splashing his fortunes on games such as Magic The Gathering, recently purchasing a card valued at a whopping $2 million and previously hosting his own tournaments. Post Malone is also an avid fan of first-person shooters and battle royales. While a long-time Call of Duty player, he’s previously showed his love for Respawn’s Apex Legends, where it appears the rapper will now be getting his own in-game event. Post Malone announces Apex Legends event In a post on Twitter/X on October 16, Post Malone announced a surprise event taking place in Apex Legends with a short video, during which the rapper was lying on the floor asking for somebody to ‘revive’ him. “Get ready for two weeks of beautiful mayhem,” he wrote. Details as to what to expect from the event have remained tight-lipped for now. Although we expect the event to kick off on November 7 according to the announcement. Post Malone released his fifth album ‘AUSTIN’ earlier this year, leaving fans thinking the rapper will be hosting an in-game concert — similar to what we’ve seen in Fortnite with the likes of Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and more top artists. Regardless, it’s fair to say fans are pumped for the collab, with some even planning to redownload the game for the event. “Time to reinstall Apex,” said one. “First Apex Legends W in a long time,” wrote another.

Surprise Apex Legends x Final Fantasy collab shocks both communities at The Game Awards 2023 Respawn/ Square EnixApex Legends has announced a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth collab at The Game Awards 2023 coming to the title in January 2024. Apex Legends has been an absolute monolith of the battle royale genre, featuring iconic heroes that squad up to become the last team standing. The game has been going strong since its release back in 2019, with the devs introducing new characters and maps with each coming season. One thing that the audience at The Game Awards 2023 did not see coming was the announcement of a new collaboration for Respawn’s Battle Royale. That’s why everyone was completely shocked when Apex Legends announced a collaboration with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, showcasing Crypto wielding Cloud’s Buster Sword. It seems like we’ll be getting cosmetics for Wraith, Horizon, and Crypto, each wielding outfits similar to that found in the Final Fantasy franchise. There is also a chance we see other skins be given to other legends that also follow a similar aesthetic to the cosmetics for the headliners of the event. We may also be getting a brand new game mode to accompany this event, as developers Respawn have done similar in the past. This may mean that the Buster Sword-wielding Crypto is part of that mode, and may not be a permanent addition to the game. Players will be able to look forward to the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy VII Rebirth collab event when it enters the Outlands on January 9th, 2024.

  • Super rare “finger gun” melee animation discovered in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Super rare “finger gun” melee animation discovered in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn incredibly rare melee animation has been discovered in Apex Legends that involves a legend using a “finger gun” attack. Respawn loves adding a touch of personality to characters in a variety of ways in Apex, and one of them is through unique melee animations. These attacks are extremely rare and can be difficult to notice if you’re not paying attention, especially in the heat of battle. As the community is constantly sharing their gameplay, it usually doesn’t take long for these interactions to be caught on camera. While most of them are well known, a new “finger gun” melee strike has shocked players, as the majority of them have revealed that they’ve never seen it before. Extremely rare melee animation showcased in Apex Legends According to reliable dataminer KralRindo, the impressive melee attack isn’t unqiue to Wraith, it’s actually possible to perform the “finger gun” on any character. On top of this, it seems to only activate in the boxing ring on Olympus, so if you want to perform it yourself, you may have to drop down there Showcased by ExtensionHall5562 on the Apex subreddit, it almost seems as if you’re shooting an invisisble bullet at an opponent. There’s no denying it’s one of the most unique melee attacks in the game and countless users on the thread are surprised it’s their first time seeing it: “Literally the first time I’ve ever seen this”. The reaction to the “finger gun” attack has led a lot of players to speculate that this is a new addition from the devs, potentially added with the Collection Event: “It doesn’t matter what the odds are it will always be found within the first 5mins and posted online… This has to be new.” While this could be true, Respawn didn’t include this feature in their patch notes or announce any changes, but it certainly wouldn’t be the first time the devs have secretly added a few surprises for players to discover on their own.

  • Summit1g left stunned after “wild” Apex Legends teammate rant – Dexerto

Summit1g left stunned after “wild” Apex Legends teammate rant Twitch: Summit1g, Respawn EntertainmentTwitch streamer Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazard was left baffled during an Apex Legends session, after encountering his “wild” teammate breaking down their in-game skills. Over the years, Summit1g has seen plenty of absurd situations unfold across the likes of Escape From Tarkov, Sea of Thieves, and GTA RP. However, in Apex Legends, Summit’s teammate showcased an investment in the game, far greater than your average player. Absolutely bewildered by his philosophical outlook on performing in the game, Summit was left speechless by this unique player. Summit1g told to be “better” at Apex Legends During his January 17 stream, the leader of the 1G squad was feeling the wrath of hardcore Apex players. Despite getting downed in the game, he offered words of encouragement to his squad in hopes of a return to form. “You got this, Rasta. You got this sh*t, brother!” yelled Summit in an effort to encourage him. However, it didn’t do the trick. His teammate was gunned down shortly after, and they lost the round. This prompted the teammate to go on a hilarious toxic philosophical rant. “Can we not do what we’re doing as a team?” he said. “We had this. We were predicting them. We were running all over the place. You should pretend that what you’re going against is not real, because it’s not. Technically, this is all a simulation, because it is. We’re playing a video game,” the player added in a Matrix-style summation of their surroundings. Their philosophical offerings didn’t end there either, as they continued to dissect Apex’s gameplay: “Just move faster than you are. Just react better than this avatar that you see rendering. It doesn’t matter that it’s a person and a gun. That doesn’t matter. It’s an avatar that can be shot and put down.” Summit couldn’t help but laugh at what he was hearing. “He’s right though,” he said with a wry grin on his face. Unfortunately, they ended up losing the match and the teammate had another dig at them. “He says we need to use teamwork more,” laughed Summit. “I liked him. He wasn’t that toxic. I thought he handled himself well considering he was losing and we were the cause. This game is wild! Too wild!’”

Wraith is one of the game’s original characters, and she quickly became one of the most popular legends partly because of her hitbox, which used to be one of the smallest in the game. She also had the first Heirloom item available in the battle royale title, which helped her become one of the most-picked legends during Apex’s wild first year. To celebrate all things Wraith, Reddit user cherry_lolo created their own original skin concept for the legend that turns her into a punk rocker. Cherry gave Wraith a studded leather jacket, an appropriately large buckle, and a new haircut to top the new look off. Some users said the skin looked more “goth” than punk, which is a debate we’ll leave up to the fans. “Yes, I know she doesn’t look like the in-game Wraith. This is my style and I’m a self-taught freelancing artist,” Cherry said in the comments on the piece. “I had little free time for this project and I tried to give her a casual/punky look.” Despite the lack of resemblance to the in-game model, Apex Legends fans seemed to really like the skin concept even if it is still just an idea. Cherry even said they would let Respawn use the skin idea for free in the future if they wanted to, so maybe someday down the road we’ll see this brought to life. Exclusive new Crypto skin now available In other Apex Legends skin news, a new skin has been released in Apex Legends called Cyber Attack Crypto, and it’s available free for a limited time. The skin is available to any player with Twitch Prime liked to their Apex account, and will be around until January 16, so don’t forget to grab it before it disappears in 2020.

  • Stunning Apex Legends Bloodhound and Octane paintings leave fans speechless – Dexerto

Stunning Apex Legends Bloodhound and Octane paintings leave fans speechless Respawn EntertainmentOne creative Apex Legends fan has made in-game characters literally jump out of the game and onto a canvas with stunning paintings of Bloodhound and Octane. Since the surprise February 4 release of Respawn Entertainment’s foray into the battle royale market, fans across the world have been hard at work to show their appreciation and love for the popular title. Some players have conjured up their own ideas for new in-game content – including new legends and their abilities, while others have decided to dress up as their favorite character. Yet, some have taken things to another artistic level completely – painting their own jaw-dropping watercolors of the Legends. Reddit user abstractmusiq left members of the Apex Legends subreddit stunned by just how good their Bloodhound watercolor painting came out back on April 28. The Legend, and their trusty Raven, was brought to life with black, gold, and red colors that made the image really pop – even though there were no Kings Canyon landmarks in the background to make it look like an in-game screenshot made a reality. Commentors were immediately complimentary, with some posting that they were going to use the post as a new computer wallpaper while others asked if they could purchase a real-life print of the painting for their own home. While abstractmusiq thanked everyone for the initial support, they revealed that their art was not going away so soon. After promising Redditors another painting in the future, they followed up with a second piece on May 12, a jaw-dropping take on Octane that made the adrenaline junkie legend look even more insane than usual and quickly took over the subreddit. While Octane may have been missing his trusty stim from the forehead, there were little hints of other character aspects that fans were left to find on their own – including his trademark hand gesture. Read More: Full list of Apex Legends world records – The painting was also crafted in such a manner that it really made Octane look as if he has just launched off his bounce pad – as a blur-like effect followed in the background, making the image, once again, stand out thanks to its incredible level of detail. What is coming in Apex Legends season two? While some interest in the once hugely popular title has somewhat waned, there is clearly still a loyal fanbase that remains and wants more from the game. Those players will be gearing up for Apex Legends Season two, which is set to kick off in June and should bring a ton of new content – including at least one new Legend – to the title in a bid to keep it fresh. It remains to be seen just what Respawn has up their sleeve for the second round of seasonal add-ons after dropping Octane alongside a ton of new skins back in Season one: Wild Frontier.

  • Student blows away Apex Legends players with perfect shield project – Dexerto

Student blows away Apex Legends players with perfect shield project Electronic ArtsApex Legends fans are impressed by one student’s art class project that includes a Shield Cell inspired by the popular battle royale game. The Shield Cell counts as one of the ways that players can restore their character’s shields. In-game, this particular regen item comes in the form of a large blue battery. As many fans know, there exists no shortage of Shield Cell collectibles in the real world. Several creators on Etsy, for example, have recreated the item as 3D-printed replicas, keychains, and coffee tumblers. But one fan, in particular, recently took the Apex Legends subreddit by storm with their inspired art class project. Apex Legends’ Shield Cell makes for the perfect art project Reddit user PlentyAd5204 has wowed Apex Legends faithful in the game’s subreddit with a photo of their work for an art class. The pottery project resulted in a recreation of the battle royale’s blue Shield Cell, complete with a removable top and painted logo. While the Redditor never specified what their cell is made of, it appears to be comprised of ceramic material. Whatever the case, PlentyAd5204’s efforts are nothing short of incredibly impressive, evidenced by the post’s 3,600-plus upvotes. Several other Apex Legends players called the shield-based art project “such a good idea” for a pot or cookie jar. In addition to stopping to appreciate quality fan art, the Apex Legends community patiently awaits the game’s next major update. The next season, entitled Eclipse, will go live in early November, introducing a new character named Catalyst to the world of Apex Legends. More details about Season 15 and the newest Legend should go live in a reveal trailer on Thursday, October 20.

  • Strongest super jump exploit in Apex Legends has been discovered – Dexerto

Strongest super jump exploit in Apex Legends has been discovered Respawn EntertainmentA new super jump exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends and it’s capable of launching players at a velocity of over 2,400. While the gunplay, Legends, and maps are massively important parts of Apex, one of the most praised aspects of the game is its unique movement. Whether it’s super jumping, wall bouncing, or tap-strafing, players love learning all of the advanced mechanics and tricks related to movement. Although the majority of these techniques are permitted to be used in-game, there are some that cross the line and are deemed exploits. Well, a recently discovered super jump mechanic certainly falls under this category, as it’s capable of launching players with a similar amount of power to a Gravity Cannon. New super jump exploit is equivalent to a Gravity Cannon As showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber Skeptation and discovered by Reddit user yagsiakim, it’s possible to super jump at a velocity of over 2,400. To put it in perspective, the initial boost from sliding into an Octane Jump Pad is 1150 total velocity, whereas the Gravity Cannons peak at around 2750. This means this technique is almost equivalent to a Gravity Cannon boost and can be used anywhere on the map, which is why it’s such a strong exploit. Luckily, this movement exploit is incredibly hard to execute and takes so much to set up with various keybinds and ziplines, that it’s unlikely players will use it in Ranked or PUBS. Either way, there’s no denying how powerful this super jump could be in certain situations, especially if it’s used to aggressively push the position of an enemy squad. The raw speed that the exploit generates would make it impossible to track the incoming movement of a player, making it easy to land nearby and one clip and an entire squad. Keep in mind, Respawn has been cracking down on players that use exploits in-game, so using this glitch may result in your account being banned.

  • Streamer picks up first-ever Apex Legends win in unique fashion – Dexerto

Streamer picks up first-ever Apex Legends win in unique fashion RespawnOverwatch analyst Sideshow managed to grab his Fortnite, PUBG, Apex Legends, or Call of Duty: Blackout, grabbing that first win in any battle royale title gives you plenty of satisfaction. You’ve managed to outlast a whole lobby of other players in the survival of the fittest. Alongside their victories, many players opt to try their hand at bagging as many kills as possible too. Fortnite and Apex Legends have world records that are continually monitored and updated, however, while Sideshow’s first victory will go down in history – it won’t find itself breaking any kill records anytime soon. During a stream on October 3, Sideshow had been playing alongside Brennon ‘Bren’ Hook with the aim of grabbing three consecutive Overwatch wins, an Apex Legends victory, and the top spot in a Fortnite match. Of course, they managed to tick the Overwatch part of that list off with success, before turning to Apex. Instead of hot dropping on the game’s new map, however, they took it easy – with Sideshow sat around, avoiding contact. The Overwatch League analyst managed to survive until the final circle without running into any other player at all. As luck had it, he could sit in a corner within a building, prompting his opponent to come at him. Yet, it didn’t work out that way, with the other player falling to the zone and giving Sideshow’s squad the victory – sparking wild celebrations. I CAN’T BELIEVE @SideshowGaming JUST WON HIS FIRST APEX GAME EVER HIDING IN A CORNER. ZERO KILLS. ZERO DAMAGE. pic.twitter.com/u6iDKhaII8 — Brennon Hook (@BrenCasts) October 4, 2019 “They died to the storm!” screamed Bren after the Apex Champion message had popped up on-screen. As another voice screamed “No way!” the caster slammed his desk before bouncing around in his chair. Just as everyone else tried to scream and shout over each other in celebration, Bren didn’t know what to do or say. He tried to throw his headphones off before stopping, and even repeatedly asked “what, what” as he searched for something coherent to say. Bagging a win inside the fast-paced arena of Apex Legends without dealing any sort of damage is clearly a unique feat, but not one that everyone should attempt – there are easier ways to become an Apex Champion.

  • Streamer obliterates keyboard because of useless teammates in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Streamer obliterates keyboard because of useless teammates in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentPlayers get tilted or rage during Apex Legends all the time, but Twitch streamer Skean took the tilt to a whole new level when he decimated his keyboard after a particularly stressful round. Video game players have been smashing their keyboards for one reason or another long before Twitch was around, but the streaming service provides a place for these moments to be immortalized. Skean isn’t the first to take fist to keyboard and he certainly won’t be the last, but he did do what looks like a very good job of breaking it in a very short amount of time following a rough round of Apex Legends, which might be why it’s one of the game’s most popular clips on Twitch right now. What made Skean perform a keyboard fatality? The clip begins with Skean telling one of his teammates “you have no idea how to play this game,” right after the streamer had been eliminated. After taking a moment to compose himself, and possibly channel his inner xQc energy, Skean started off with a solid desk slam before punching his microphone away. “For fucks sake,” the streamer yelled, right before going after his innocent keyboard with four shots of what we will refer to as the “Hammer Fist” technique and a final slam to top it all off. After the destruction was over, Skean walked off leaving his keyboard wondering what the hell had just gone down, and Heath Ledger’s Joker staring back at viewers from the wall with a very appropriate smirk. For his part, Skean seems to be taking it all in stride – “So, I may have done that thing I do sometimes again. You know… that thing involving my fist, and my innocent keyboard?” he wrote on Twitter “Turns out people love this shit more than drdisrespect and shroud.” At the time of writing Skean’s keyboard destruction is one of the top 10 most popular Apex Legends clips on Twitch, so he might be on to something after all. So, I may have done that thing I do sometimes again You know… that thing involving my fist, and my innocent keyboard Turns out people love this shit more than @drdisrespect and @shroud No hard feeling lads, see you at the top XD#stream #rage #twitch #trending #clip #kappa pic.twitter.com/pCxuYCUrc6 — Skean (@SkeanStream) July 9, 2019 Skean may not have come out on top in his Apex Legends match, but thanks to his tilt he was able to give us one great keyboard smash to enjoy – hopefully he has a spare though.

  • Streamer loses Apex Legends match after his glass eye literally pops out – Dexerto

Streamer loses Apex Legends match after his glass eye literally pops out Twitch/mayorreynoldsIt’s not every day that a Twitch streamer literally has their eye pop out of its socket, but that’s exactly what happened to Mayor Reynolds during an Apex Legends match. The streamer, who is the former mayor of Whitney Point, New York, was playing a match of Apex Legends when he started touching his eye. Out of nowhere, the streamer’s glass eye literally popped out of his head and onto the ground below, surprising both Reynolds and his viewers. This couldn’t have happened at a worse time too – with just three squads left in the match, the former mayor found himself stationary and out in the open. “Oh my God,” he now one-eyed streamer sighed. “Be right back. Jesus Christ.” Reynolds then left the stream and the game to go into another room, presumingly to put his glass eye back in properly. Sadly, just as he returned to the broadcast, he was killed, ending the game for him in brutal fashion. “Did that just happen?!” he groaned, having the match end in such a disappointing manner. A few moments later, he explained to viewers his situation and why his glass eye popped out to begin with. “For those of you who don’t know or maybe didn’t believe me, I have a glass eye. And it just flew out on stream,” he stated. “It just fell out. That has never happened to me in my life, that my eye has fallen out on accident. And it just happened live on stream.” According to Reynolds, this was something he was extremely nervous about, but he was touching his eye because of allergies. “I’m not touching it just because,” he claimed. “You know how your eye gets crusty in the morning sometimes when you just wake up? That’s what my glass eye is doing right now.” For anyone who ever doubted his glass eye before, now there’s proof out there. Just a shame it had to come at the expense of an Apex Legends match. Still, that’s certainly something you don’t see every day, even with all the madness that happens on Twitch.

  • Streamer gets disconnected in the funniest way possible after winning an Apex Legends match – Dexerto

Streamer gets disconnected in the funniest way possible after winning an Apex Legends match Respawn EntertainmentThe new free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends released on Monday, February 4 and streamer ‘TTHump’ seemed to be enjoying the game before being unexpectedly disconnected. Apex Legends is a battle royale game set in the Titanfall universe, and like others it has players fight to stay inside a constantly-shrinking circle until there’s only one player or squad left. As TTHump finished off the last of his opponents, he had nothing but good things to say about the new game. “Aye let’s go, good shit,” the streamer cried after winning the round. “This game’s pretty fun so far, dog.” After that, TTHump began to say “It’s like” before something happened and the stream starts spamming “li” over and over and over again. If it was the game, and not TTHump or his equipment that caused the malfunction, it couldn’t have come at a funnier time, right when the streamer was praising it. There have been several reports of Apex crashing on players, but other then that and reports of a few bugs and glitches, the reception to the new game seems mostly positive after launch. Apex Legends shot to the top of the most viewed games on Twitch on its release, and held on to the top spot for most of the day. Still, it’s not a very good look when your game crashes just as a player is praising it to hundreds or thousands of viewers.

  • Strange Loba Ultimate bug completely crashes Apex Legends games – Dexerto

Strange Loba Ultimate bug completely crashes Apex Legends games Respawn/EA[jwplayer dGieJhaz]Apex Legends players have run into an alarming issue where their games crash if they try and grab the same item as their teammate from Loba’s Ultimate ability. Loba joined the Apex Legends cast of characters at the start of season five, making a name for herself as an annoying enemy to play against. She hasn’t quite made waves and become as popular as Wraith or Pathfinder, however. This might be, in part, due to the number of bugs that have cropped up in games. Recently, following the Lost Treasures update, players have noted that her Burglar’s Best Friend teleport has become pretty useless. Yet, there’s a new problem rearing its head as players have been crashing out of games while using her Black Market Boutique ultimate. The new problem was pointed out by Reddit user 3KeyReasons, who warned players against trying to grab the same item as their teammates from the ultimate ability. As the Redditor showed in their video, both they and their teammate tried to get their hands on a purple backpack at the same time. Though, as they were confirming the item they wanted, the game came to a crashing halt. They were sent back to the main loading screen and greeted with an error code that they said the given object was “not an entity” and that was null. 3KeyReasons noted that they’d reported the bug to EA and Respawn as other players chimed in to say that the same thing had happened to them as well. Obviously, thanks to the new reconnect feature, you can nack into the game if your teammates stay alive, but that’s a tall order if they’re doing alone. However, despite the bug being flagged, it hasn’t yet appeared on Respawn’s Trello board of issues so we’ll just have to wait and see if they address it any time soon.

  • Strange Ash Ultimate bug teleports players huge distances in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Strange Ash Ultimate bug teleports players huge distances in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre glitch involving Ash’s Phase Breach Ultimate is teleporting players halfway across the map in Apex Legends to random locations. Since arriving on the roster back at the start of Season 11, Ash has established herself as a popular Legend in the current meta with a 6.7% pick rate. Not only does she have roots in Titanfall, but her kit encourages players to track down enemies and actively seek out gunfights. However, as with every new character, the Incisive Instigator has had her fair share of bugs and issues, including an EVO shield glitch that made it possible to get max armor at the beginning of a match. Now, a bug involving her Ultimate is causing players to teleport huge distances across the map to random locations. Bizarre Ash Ultimate bug teleports players to random locations Ash’s Ultimate allows her to create a one-way portal to a set location that her whole team can use to escape or close the distance on an enemy. However, as Reddit user Willing-data3726 discovered, if the Ash player is killed while inside the Phase Breach, the portal will despawn. This means the game no longer knows where to teleport the player inside the Ultimate so it transports them to a seemingly random location on the map. It’s safe to say this can cause some issues, especially if you happen to spawn next to an enemy squad with no backup from your teammates. It’s difficult to know how Respawn would go about fixing this issue unless they made it so Ash’s Ultimate remains on the map after her death. However, as this interaction is so rare, it’s unlikely the devs will have this bug down as a priority to fix. The glitch is extremely hard to replicate but could cause some problems for a few unlucky players in the future.

  • Strange Apex Legends Revenant glitch teleports players to random places – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends Revenant glitch teleports players to random places Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a bizarre bug that teleports them to random locations on the map using Revenant’s Death Totem ultimate ability. Revenant was added to Apex Legends in February 2020 as part of the launch of Season 4, featuring new weapons, map updates and, of course, a new Legend, with an ultimate ability that could become a crutch once people figure out how to use it effectively. Revenant’s Death Totem ultimate gives players protection from death for 30 seconds – if your health is depleted, rather than dying you’ll simply respawn at the Death Totem, albeit with very little health left. That wasn’t quite the case though for Reddit user P-Soup. P-Soup hopped on the train as it traveled west out of the Epicenter/Fragment East areas of the map, and quickly used his Death Totem in case anybody got the better of them while taking the fast route across the map. Within a few seconds, Soup and his teammates were in a gunfight, and he ended up getting beaten by the opposing player. But, rather than respawn at the Death Totem just a few yards behind him, the Revenant player ended up dropping into the map on the north-west side of the map at Hill Valley, around the Skyhook area. Immediately you can see him looking around, trying to figure out how or why he ended up so far away. Based on where Soup and his squad were on the map, we can presume they hadn’t been anywhere near Skyhook for the duration of that game, so it’s hard to see why the game would put him there unless it was a completely random drop. A lot of people in the comments suggested it could be something to do with the train, as it was moving at the time and perhaps this triggered a bug of some sort, while another suggested that the player “died so hard the game had no choice but to just plop [him] somewhere else.” This could have turned out pretty good for Soup, who was transported away from the fight and to what appears to be a pretty safe area. If there is some logic behind this bug that players can utilize to its full potential, it may be even better than this player’s genius Death Totem play to save his teammates.

  • Strange Apex Legends ping bug is affecting Jumpmasters – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends ping bug is affecting Jumpmasters RespawnDropping into a game of Apex Legends has been made pretty easy by the introduction of ‘Jumpmasters’, but a brand new bug seems to be affecting players. Respawn Entertainment’s take on the battle royale genre has been an overwhelming success, thanks to innovations like respawning, hero abilities and the use of ‘jumpmasters’ to keep teams together when landing. Its popularity helped it reach over 50 million players in its first month. However, a strange new bug is affecting Jumpmasters all over Kings Canyon, causing their teammates to be pushed away from them – severely messing up pre-planned landings for the whole squad. Hot dropping into Kings Canyon might be hugely affected by the new bug. What is the Apex Legends Jumpmaster bug? In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Fnuggi, showed off their video of the bizarre new bug. As Fnuggi pinged an enemy team’s jumpmaster, they were visibly being moved further and further away from their two teammates, who were still ‘attached’ the the lead of the jumpmaster. Spamming the ping didn’t make the jumpmaster hurtle to the ground and fall to their death. Instead, a bigger and bigger gap began growing between them and their teammates as they aimed for their respective dropzone. Some users recognized the error immediately, stating that they’ve had it happen to them too. “I was wondering how sometimes that happened,” added one user. Another posted: “WOAH, I was wondering what was causing that. It’s happened to me so many times but I had no idea there was a distinct cause.” However, one devious poster, going by the name Natdaprat, posted that they could have a little fun with the error: “Well now I have a new mini-game while dropping, thanks!” Will Respawn fix the Jumpmaster bug? While a number of Respawn developers are active on the subreddit and regularly jump into threads to hand out updates about errors, none of them are yet to chime in and address the issue – as of the time of writing. It remains to be seen if a hotfix will be sent out by Respawn to fix the potentially game-changing problem anytime soon.

  • Strange Apex Legends Mirage bug is ruining Bloodhound’s Ultimate – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends Mirage bug is ruining Bloodhound’s Ultimate Respawn/EAA new Apex Legends bug appears to be ruining Bloodhound’s ultimate when a player decides to target one of Mirage’s decoys – prompting thoughts of a potential change being in the works. After a few teases, Respawn dropped the all-new Old Ways event into Apex Legends on April 7 but its arrival has seemingly prompted a few game-breaking issues. Players have been reporting problems with the Devotion’s recoil, Lifeline becoming a “useless” legend pick, as well as a bug that allows enemies to shoot while downed. However, it seems pretty ironic that one of the newest and strangest bugs actually harms Bloodhound – seeing as the event and subsequent Town Takeover has been centered around the Technological Tracker. The new issue, which was pointed out by Reddit user MinercoJ, is causing Bloodhound’s ‘Beast of the Hunt’ Ultimate to not work as intended. Read More: Apex Legends leak reveals Loba’s abilities – When the legend has their eyes laid upon a Mirage decoy and decides to pull the trigger, no matter how much time is left on the Ultimate, the ability will quickly stop working altogether and return the character back to their normal state. Of course, if you’re using the Beast of the Hunt ultimate ability, you probably don’t want to waste it on a Mirage decoy at all. You’d want the real thing. Some players pointed out that it could be the early stages of the planned Mirage buff that the developers recently revealed. “Probably means that the buff planned for Mirage is going to involve some punishments to enemies for shooting decoys,” noted Goldfish18. Seeing as Respawn hasn’t yet confirmed what said buff will be, it’s hard to say whether the fan’s explanation is spot on or wide of the mark. Though, if it is wrong and this continues on being a bug that plagues games, the developers will have to make a move to patch it so that Bloodhound continues to be a viable legend to play as.

  • Strange Apex Legends interaction cause bullets to ricochet off care packages – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends interaction cause bullets to ricochet off care packages A rather bizarre interaction in Apex Legends causes bullets to ricochet off falling care packages. With the lone exception of the select-fire mode on the new Havoc rifle – which acts as hitscan, meaning it will hit the first thing in its line-of-fire at the exact moment that the trigger is pulled – bullets in Apex Legends are projectiles, with varying travel speeds. Like most games with this style of projectile-based weapons, Apex also incorporates bullet drop-off, with the trajectory of the shots curving down over distance, again to a varying degree depending on the weapon in question. Other than these effects, however, players don’t usually have to account for other influences on the direction of their shots. There is one scenario, however, in which shots will be thrown entirely off course despite no obvious boundary. Once an in-coming care package gets low enough to the ground, it seems to create a reflection field of sorts that causes incoming shots to be redirected. It turns out that in this event, the bullets will still register damage should they ultimately impact an enemy along their new path, as u/william2699 demonstrated. It’s a very specific instance in which this occurs, as while the care package is still high in the sky there is no such invisible barrier, while the package itself will still operate as a regular surface. The gap in between, however, is where the ricochet field occurs. This is the only known instance of bullet ricochet in the game, as regular surfaces simply absorb shots, rather than causing them to bounce off. It may not have many practical applications – perhaps if the stars aligned it might be used to bounce a shot or two around a corner – but it might be worth keeping this unusual quirk in mind if you ever find yourself wanting to pull off a particularly spectacular trick shot.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch makes Wattson’s electric fences invisible – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch makes Wattson’s electric fences invisible Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre bug with Wattson’s Perimeter Security ability has been leaving Apex Legends players confused, with seemingly invisible traps. While Wattson has not been considered a strong meta pick in Apex Legends as of late, her unique ability kit can still be devastating to any enemies who get caught unaware. A new bug has recently surfaced with Wattson’s Perimeter Security traps, causing the Static Defender’s electric fences to become invisible. This has, quite understandably, left opposing players stunned after taking damage from nowhere. Wattson’s abilities can be great for trapping players and securing an area in Apex Legends, particularly in places with narrow doorways at the entrance that can make it hard to disable the fences. One player ‘u/WNlover’ was victim to the bizarre glitch after emerging from the Hydro Tunnels in Kings Canyon. Upon leaving the tunnels, the player found that one of the doors was guarded by the electric traps. They then turned towards the other exit instead, which seemed to be clear of any kind of threat and attempted to leave the building. Unfortunately for the Apex Legends fan, they walked straight into an invisible trap with no ways to counter, losing almost half of their health due to the strange bug. It is unclear what caused the electric fences to disappear from sight, although many Apex Legends bugs have popped up, from strange interactions between doorways and abilities in the past. There has been another glitch that makes Wattson’s traps temporarily invisible, which was found by Apex Legends players, although it required the help of the giant Harvester door to mask the abilities. As this bizarre incident seems to have been a one-off, it is quite unlikely that we’ll see a massive spike in Wattson players due to her highly-situational abilities.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch makes Revenant’s Ultimate useless – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch makes Revenant’s Ultimate useless Respawn EntertainmentA glitch has been found in Apex Legends that stops Revenant’s Ultimate ability, Death Totem, from working properly, and can totally ruin matches for Rev mains. Since Revenant was added to Apex Legends in Season 4, he has become increasingly popular for the playmaking abilities that his unique kit can provide. Among those abilities is his Ultimate, Death Totem, which gives players a brief window of protection from death and the chance to cause havoc without being punished. However, it seems as if this ability also has its issues, as it was recently revealed that a glitch with the skill could cause unsuspecting players to push into their death. With the death totem active, players are normally brought back to the totem just before their health drops below zero, but that did not seem to be the case for Reddit user u/AtitanReddit. The Apex Legends player shared a brief clip of their encounter with this glitch, which highlighted them being downed, instead of returning to the totem, as they should have. They were then forced to crawl to their safety before eventually returning to the totem, in a downed state, and having to use the self-revive from the golden knockdown shield to get back in the action. If they had no self-revive, this might have been the end of their match. Despite falling victim to this unusual bug, Atitan managed to turn things around and secure a victory in the end, although it was much closer than it could have been. The player claimed that this weird bug “makes Revenant unplayable” and that it nearly prevented them from finishing off the remaining players. It’s possible that it was actually because they had self-revive, but the devs will want to look into it. Respawn has recently revealed they are working on some bug fixes for Revenant, and while they have yet to address this unusual glitch with his ultimate, they will likely be looking to patch this in a future update as well.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch is making Loba’s teleport ability useless – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch is making Loba’s teleport ability useless Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre glitch that was found with Loba’s tactical ability has been leaving Apex Legends players frustrated after causing their teleports to fail. The fifth season of Apex Legends was finally released on May 12, and featured the introduction of a brand new character, Loba, along with lots of other changes. Players have been attempting to master the new character, however, a glitch has been found with her tactical ability, and Loba mains are hoping for a quick fix. Loba’s new kit provides players with high mobility and quick looting capabilities, however, a glitch with her Burglar’s Best Friend ability has been preventing players from using it at all. The ability allows players to teleport, within a moderate range, to improve their positioning and can be used both offensively or defensively, whether chasing someone down or trying to escape a tough situation. Apex legends player ImKim04 was among many who highlighted a bizarre bug with the ability and revealed that the jump drive was failing to teleport Loba after the tactical had been activated. Surprisingly, the glitch seemingly resets the tactical ability’s cooldown and the Apex player tried multiple times, even attempting to teleport only a few feet away, with no results. Loba’s tactical ability would be canceled similarly when players choose an invalid spot to jump to, however, in this case, it seems as if that same effect is occurring regardless of the targeted location. This potentially game-breaking glitch could have a massive impact on those who rely on Loba’s unique kit for mobility, offering little chance at an escape when it occurs. Loba tactical glitch #PS4sharehttps://t.co/8u7aWF4reP pic.twitter.com/n1QdHbarBw — YemeniLuigi (@yemeniluigi) May 21, 2020 While little is known on what exactly is causing the bug, it does not seem to be too difficult to reproduce as many have reported experiences with this bizarre ability glitch as well.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch is making cars completely disappear – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch is making cars completely disappear Respawn EntertainmentA hilarious new Apex Legends glitch has been found in Season 13, showing Gibraltar getting close to a Trident that it disappears completely. Just picture it – you see an enemy standing a few meters in front of you. They jump out of their vehicle and are about to start running in one direction. You see the Trident and think it would be an ideal way to catch up to them, and then it disappears! This is happening in Apex Legends, based on a new clip that has blown up within the community. If a way to do this emerges, it could even become an exploit people take advantage of when the circle is coming in – limiting ways to traverse the map quickly. Gibraltar glitch makes vehicles disappear in Apex Legends A clip showing the problem was posted to the Apex Legends subreddit on July 3, showing a player zooming in on their enemy trying to take a shot. The foe, Gibby, was standing next to his vehicle before walking around towards the back end of it. Seconds later, it completely disappeared – meaning nobody else could use it. Some members of the community joked that the Legend was adding it to their inventory, almost like a weapon or item. The post, tagged as a humor post, has racked up over 12,000 upvotes on the page. Apex Legends players react In the comments, one fan said: “Did he just GTA store it like it’s his vehicle lol?” Another joined in with the joke, mimicking the Grand Theft Auto mechanic: “I’m Johnny on the spot!” A third user said: “Thought you meant Car SMG, mf straight up puts the whole vehicle inside his pocket.” At the time of writing, this bug is not yet on the radar of Respawn Entertainment, according to their Trello board. The developers often post about newly-discovered glitches here, though there is no mention of disappearing Tridents. Speaking of disappearances, though, it does say they are investigating missing Twitch drops affecting some accounts.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch is breaking Vantage’s tactical ability – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch is breaking Vantage’s tactical ability Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players discovered a strange glitch that makes Vantage’s Echo Relocation tactical ability much harder to use. Season 14 of Apex Legends brought a ton of new content including the new Recon Legend Vantage. While some players are using Vantage to pull off some incredible plays, others have found a few problems with her kit. One of those problems comes in the form of a frustrating UI glitch that makes it incredibly difficult to know when her tactical ability is ready to use. Apex Legends glitch breaks Vantage’s tactical The glitch gained traction on the Apex Legends subreddit after user Rebeccubus posted a video of the glitch in action. The video shows the Vantage player using the Echo Relocation tactical when the ability’s recall bar glitches out and the ability the cooldown timer on the UI completely disappears. Rebecculus claims that they’ve tried multiple ways to undo the glitch, like restarting Apex or using the tactical in different ways, but to no avail. Interestingly, Rebecculus isn’t the only player who’s experienced this UI bug according to various comments. “Thought it was just me. I’ve been relying on the sound cue to tell me if it’s ready or not,” said Panic-International. Another user called Laush1 reported experiencing the same glitch. “Even if I bring out Echo and try to see the cooldown, it’s not there. it becomes really annoying and it sometimes baits you to think that you have the ability.” Conversely, other players reported experiencing a different bug that allowed them to continuously jump to Echo without any cooldown. It sounds as though the glitch eventually resolved itself, as Rebecculus commented that restarting the game didn’t help “at the time.” Still, hopefully Respawn is able to iron out some of Vantage’s strange glitches so fans can enjoy Vantage and Season 14 without issue.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch gives Lifeline accidental healing buff – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch gives Lifeline accidental healing buff Respawn EntertainmentA newly discovered Apex Legends glitch is allowing Lifeline players to survive forever in the storm thanks to infinite healing from her D.O.C. drone. Lifeline is Apex Legends’ premier healing character thanks to her deployable health drone and her ability to quickly resurrect downed teammates. Though it seems a strange glitch may have just made Lifeline an even better healer, albeit not intentionally so. One Lifeline main posted a clip of themselves surviving storm damage by repeatedly healing, despite being nowhere near Lifeline’s D.O.C drone. Apex Legends glitch gives Lifeline accidental buff The glitch comes by way of udrac on the Apex Legends subreddit, who posted a 40-second long clip of the incident in action. The video showed Lifeline running through the storm at half health before stopping to use a heat shield and deploy her tactical healing drone. After healing while looting a deathbox, udrac left the heat shield and entered the storm again — only this time they seemingly took no damage. However, if fans look closely at the clip Lifeline is indeed taking damage regularly from the storm, but is healed the ring damage as soon as it occurred, which made it appear as though they lost no health. The general consensus among the comments is that the glitch is related to Lifeline’s drone somehow staying attached to her despite having left its healing radius. “I would guess [it’s] a glitch with you leaving the health drone range and entering the zone at the same time, said Gorgortan. Other players joked it was simply a new buff for Lifeline, like MACHO_MUCHACHO2005 who said, “New lifeline buff. Bluetooth health drone. Health drone heals you from anywhere.” It seems as though players haven’t found out exactly how to replicate the glitch, but those looking to do so should try it at their own risk — lest Respawn catches wind of any attempted exploits.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch causes Caustic’s traps to randomly detonate – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch causes Caustic’s traps to randomly detonate Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have found a bizarre glitch that causes Caustic’s Nox Gas Traps to detonate at random on the World’s edge map. Caustic is known for his unique ability kit in Apex Legends, featuring lethal gas-based equipment that players can use to outplay their opponents. While players often debate over just how strong the character’s skill set is, a new glitch has been found which prevents the Toxic Trapper from maximizing his damage in-game. A bug has been found which can trigger Caustic Nox Gas Traps to detonate randomly after being placed without any enemies around. It was revealed that this bizarre bug would occur inside the Harvester, in the center of the World’s Edge map, leaving many Caustic mains confused as to why they were detonating by themselves. “I found that whenever I’m in harvester on World’s Edge, my gas traps will randomly detonate as soon as I place them,” explained Reddit user u/Bananabob86, who first shared the glitch. While it is known that Caustic’s gas traps can often lead to some strange interactions when placed near doors, the Apex Legends fan later revealed that this was not the case. “Even when I place them far enough away so that they’re not touching the door they still detonate,” they added. Although it is unclear just what the cause of the glitch is, with some suspecting that the nearby lava could be a possibility, others have claimed that they have had similar experiences with the character’s Nox Gas Traps. Caustic’s Nox Gas abilities have been a hot topic of discussion in recent months after Respawn devs revealed why they had yet to change the effects of the toxic fumes, despite receiving some criticism from the players.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch allows players to shoot through closed doors – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch allows players to shoot through closed doors Respawn EntertainmentAnother bizarre bug has been discovered in Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends, as a player was eliminated after being shot through clearly shut doors. Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall-inspired battle royale exploded in popularity after its February release, but large portions of the community have been critical over the number of bugs and glitches that plague the game, even a number of months into its lifespan. Respawn provided updates on a number of glitches they are looking to fix when Season 2 launches on July 2, including a number surrounding lag and connection problems. However, this particular glitch doesn’t appear to be caused by internet issues, as there is no red indicator in the top right of the player’s screen. Reddit user BoringLastWords shared the clip after he was frustratingly killed by an opponent, despite clearly having shut the doors to give himself time to heal. The player was in an early game scenario, just north of Cascades, when they solo challenged an enemy squad, who had knocked their two teammates. After successfully knocking one member of the enemy team, the player pushes into the elevated bunker to stop the revive and get the elimination. However, it doesn’t go to plan, and BoringLastWords shuts the door to retreat, heal and reload. When the doors are shut, the enemy fires his Peacekeeper and somehow manages to finish the player off, despite them clearly being in cover. Some responses suggested that the event was down to poor connection – and that the doors were not shut on the enemy screen. However, Apex uses red indicators in the top right corner when a player’s internet is poor, and these are not present; indicating yet another frustrating bug in the game. It’s unknown if this issue is contained to just these specific doors, but other players also claimed they had had a similar experience, and that it was happening more “lately”. As the game approaches its second season, Respawn will be hoping to iron out the small issues that plague the game, like this bizarre issue surrounding the protection doors (should) grant.

  • Strange Apex Legends glitch allows you to place infinite Wraith portals – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends glitch allows you to place infinite Wraith portals An Apex Legends glitch is allowing Wraith to place an infinite number of portals (or ‘Dimensional Rifts’), by simply combining her tactical and ultimate ability with a bit of neat timing. By proper means, the Dimensional Rift is only usable once every few minutes or so, depending on how fast a player can charge up their ultimate ability. It allows Wraith, her teammates, and any enemies to enter the portal, and be rapidly transported to the other end, which can be invaluable in a variety of situations. The glitch was first discovered back in late February, and it appears that Respawn have not yet managed to implement a fix, as players are still seeing it being exploited even in Season 1. Making matters worse (or better, if you are a Wraith main) is that the infinite portal glitch is remarkably easy to perform. Simply by activating her tactical ability shortly after using her ultimate and jumping over any small ledge, the ultimate ability is instantly recharged. As shown in the video below, YouTuber Skeltano is able to make eight portals in a matter of seconds by using the exploit – to the shock of his teammates. A number of users have been complaining about the exploit still being possible on Reddit, but so far there has been no official response from anyone at Respawn. In the meantime, watch out for any Wraith tricksters who appear to be placing an unreasonable number of Dimensional Rifts.

  • Strange Apex Legends exploit removes Loba’s teleport cooldown in Arenas – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends exploit removes Loba’s teleport cooldown in Arenas Respawn EntertainmentAn exploit on the Arenas map Phase Runner allows Loba to reset the cooldown of her tactical and guarantee herself priority over the supply bins every single round. Small margins are often the deciding factor when it comes to the 3v3 chaos of Arenas. With limited abilities, throwables, and meds, every gunfight a squad takes could be the difference-maker between winning and losing a round. Of course, that makes the supply bins scattered across each of the maps all the more important to players, as a spare Shield Battery or Phoenix Kit gives a squad a huge advantage over their opponents. Well, an exploit discovered by a player on the Arenas Phase Runner map allows Loba to reach a set of supplies before any other Legend, no matter what. The trick is incredibly easy to perform and may even push Loba up the tier list for Arenas. Arenas exploit resets the cooldown of Loba’s tactical There’s no denying that Loba’s tactical is an incredibly powerful ability, especially after the fixes implemented by the devs in a recent patch. However, an Apex Legends player has discovered how to take Loba’s bracelet to the next level on Phase Runner, and completely reset the cooldown. While playing Arenas, DetoxReeboks realized that if you throw Loba’s tactical through the teleporter on Phase Runner, it resets the cooldown completely after you’ve passed through. This meant that at the beginning of a round, they began using the reset to their advantage and securing the supply bin in the middle of the map. Of course, this meant that DetoxReeboks had more meds than their enemies every single round. Interestingly, players have also discovered that Octane’s Stim works in a similar way once he’s passed through the teleporter. It’s not known why the abilities seem to be interacting like this on Phase Runner, but it’s likely Respawn will need to step in and implement a fix as soon as possible. While the exploit isn’t game-breaking, it does guarantee teams with a Loba valuable extra supplies every single round.

  • Strange Apex Legends exploit lets Octane heal on ziplines – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends exploit lets Octane heal on ziplines Respawn EntertainmentAn unusual exploit in Apex Legends has been shared which allows Octane players to heal themselves with medkits while ziplining away from danger. Finding the right time to heal can be a frustrating challenge for even some of the most experienced players in Apex Legends, as many will get caught off guard after choosing to equip their consumables during a fight. However, a bizarre glitch was found which can now allow Octane players to properly heal on the go, by taking advantage of an exploit with ziplines in-game. The Octane exploit, which was shared by DeathJoyArts, seemingly allows players to equip a medkit or any other healing consumable such as a shield battery or cell while riding on a zipline. The glitch is apparently caused by a unique interaction with Octane’s stim ability and the zipline mechanic allowing players to use their consumables while flying through the air. “There you go, that’s how you use the zipline heal” he revealed, highlighting how simple it can be to replicate this bug. ive been able to do this since season 4 and its still not fixed…pls pic.twitter.com/a6h5KRIqHj — death joy (@DeathJoyArts) May 30, 2020 After claiming that it could be done since Season 4, the Apex Legends player called on Respawn to fix the unique exploit with Octane. “I’ve been able to do this since season 4 and it’s still not fixed,” he added, pleading with them to finally address the issue. This bug could be particularly strong for Apex Legends players when paired with a Pathfinder main, allowing for Octane to possibly take more damage than usual while using his teammate’s ziplines at will. While players are not invincible during the exploit it could still provide them with the extra few seconds they need to escape an intense fight with their enemies. Respawn have yet to respond to this strange glitch and they have not yet added it to the Apex Legends Trello board, where they track any new bugs and exploits in the battle royale title.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug traps players inside invisible Gibraltar dome – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug traps players inside invisible Gibraltar dome Respawn/EAA pretty unusual Apex Legends bug is turning Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection invisible and trapping players inside of it until the ring swallows them whole. Though plenty of new characters have been introduced in Apex Legends, many of the starter legends are still fan-favorites. That includes Gibraltar – the Shielded Fortress. The defensive legend is all about protecting his team – be through his own Gun Shield, the Dome of Protection, or his Defensive Bombardment Ultimate. However, it appears as if there is a pretty major problem with his dome, as players have found that they’re seemingly unable to leave the dome when the ring is closing in on them. The problem was showcased by Redditor LightPrism, who showed that they appeared to be stuck inside an invisible version of the Gibraltar dome that just timed out moments earlier. The Gibraltar player was able to pick up loot that was on the floor and run around in a tight space, but once they reached where the edge of the dome would be, the defensive character would start climbing as if a wall was in their way. Having one of the final circles closing in on them while being stuck inside proved to be a recipe for disaster for LightPrism as they were eliminated from the game, only being able to watch on as enemy players sprinted past them. Some players suggested that the Redditor had, actually, become stuck in an invisible wall due to a clipping issue with the set of rocks behind them. Though, others weren’t so sure that was the case, adding that there had to be a new problem with Girbaltar’s dome instead. While members of the Respawn have previously commented on similar issues on the subreddit, they haven’t chimed in on this one, so we’ll just have to wait and see if they’ve got a bug to fix with Gibraltar or with the Kings Canyon map.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug teleports new teammate in mid-game – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug teleports new teammate in mid-game Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player solo queued for a trios match when, after wiping out a squad, they gained an additional teammate out of thin air. Apex Legends was designed to be a team-oriented battle royale, one that doesn’t have a solo option like many other BRs on the market. However, players looking for a challenge (or hoping to farm badges) will often queue for games without letting other teammates get filled into their squad. For this small subset of Apex players that are confident enough to solo queue and take on squads by themselves, a new bug is giving them teammates in the middle of matches. Apex Legends players puzzled by strange matchmaking bug Bugs aren’t exactly uncommon in Apex Legends. Ranging from goofy animation glitches or rare instances of players getting stuck in certain places all the way to bugs that render certain Legends’ abilities unusable, not every aspect of the game always works properly. However, one player discovered a bug that’s strange even when compared to other oddities that sometimes occur in-game. After wiping out an entire squad on their own, a player randomly gained a new teammate. It took them a second to notice the change because this teammate didn’t have to drop from the sky like a normal player. They just teleported right in. While looting, a new teammate’s health bar suddenly popped up. It went from looking like a disconnected Bloodhound to spawning in a Seer. One second, Pathfinder was looting boxes and getting their hands on essential supplies. The next, Seer was right there. The original poster tried talking to them, but they only got static coming back. Additionally, the poster said they only saw one banner at the beginning of the match, meaning they were certainly alone when the lobby was made. It’s hard to say what could have caused this off of a single clip, however. Whether this is a one-off incident or a persistent bug that players should be worried about remains to be seen.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug sends players sky-high while healing – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug sends players sky-high while healing A strange new bug in Apex Legends is sending players flying into the sky after they try to heal themselves with shield and health kits. Apex Legends season three has been a strong return to form for Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title, with players flocking to the new World’s Edge map to try out the brand-new location. It hasn’t been completely smooth sailing for the game, though, as players have encountered numerous bugs and glitches that have affected their experience. A handful have been pretty game-breaking, but a new problem, revolving around healing, is quite literally sending players through the roof. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user RoadKillSkull showcased a video of a problem where they, and their teammates, were sent high into the sky after healing. In the video, the Redditor’s game seems to crash for a moment before they are sent skywards. Once there, the game shows that they are healing, but they actually aren’t. Instead, RoadKillSkull was left as a sky-high turret, trying to gun down enemy players – at least on their screen. While that may seem like an advantage to some players, it didn’t quite work out that way as the Redditor was gunned down and sent flying back to their original spot inside of a cabin, but instead of healing, they were waiting for a revive. Going up. from r/apexlegends While it’s a pretty big problem by itself, it’s not the only glitch that frustrates players who are trying to heal that has appeared recently. Back on November 8, a twitch streamer by the name of Leovanthy uncovered an error where after being revived, players found themselves to unopen death boxes from enemies. The Respawn development have, in the past, frequented the game’s subreddit and responded to issues that have caused frustrations for players. However, they have yet to respond to this problem, so it remains to be seen if they are aware of it and if a fix is in the offing.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug rewards players with free Apex Coins – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug rewards players with free Apex Coins A strange bug in Apex Legends has been handing out free Apex Coins – and nobody has been able to nail down a concrete reason why. Apex Legends is well into its third season of content now following its release in early February, but it hasn’t been entirely smooth sailing for Respawn Entertainment. Fans have noted issues with the game’s performance, being able to accurately shoot enemies with certain weapons, and even being able to load the World’s Edge map. Yet, the spotlight has been shined on another issue even though it might actually benefit players and hurt Respawn’s pockets. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user hagennn revealed that after playing a game with their friend in which they got disconnected, they received 7,000 Apex Coins without any rhyme or reason. “We joined a lobby, both got kicked, and he got the currency, so believe me I wish I could have replicated it too,” they explained after asked if they were able to copy what their pal had done. While the Redditor didn’t initially reveal if they had benefited, hagennn noted they’d received 2,150 Apex Coins – again, without a reason outside of the disconnection. While some Redditors believed it may have been a visual glitch, hagennn revealed that their friend was actually able to spend the coins on Apex packs. One poster, SlyFoxC, explained they’d experienced similar in the past while having their account on a friend’s console. After being disconnected, he managed to receive all of his friend’s previous purchases of Apex Coins. However, hagennn didn’t reveal if this could have been the case for their situation. Now the 7,000 isn’t the most absurd number that has been linked to this issue, as back in February, Redditor MrJakeHD received over 125 million Apex Coins out of the blue. There hasn’t been an amount close to that to this day, but it appears as if there is still a glitch in Respawn’s system that is handing over the free premium currency. It very much remains to be seen if they’ll put a fix in place, especially with Season 4 just around the corner which will undoubtedly have a huge rollout of content.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug prevents players from looting death boxes – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug prevents players from looting death boxes RespawnApex Legends players have been reporting issues with a new bug that is pushing death boxes into spots on the map that prevents them from being able to grab some loot. While Respawn Entertainment are building up to the launch of Apex Legends season four, players are still dropping into games on World’s Edge and looking to become the Apex champion – at least once, anyway. However, they’ve been reporting plenty of issues throughout the current season including not being able to get into a game when you’re above level 500, the map not loading at all, and even being stuck in free fall during the start of games. Yet, a new problem has begun rearing its head and it is stopping players from grabbing loot from dead players’ death boxes by moving them from their original positions. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Mozog1g2 showcased a clip from a recent game where their teammate had been eliminated and they looked to restock on equipment using the death box. However, as the teammate had died on a set of stairs, the box had, somehow, become stuck underneath the stairs and inaccessible to the Redditor. In a frenzy, Mozog1g2 searched around the spot where the death box was still seemingly located to see if they could still grab some precious items. Though, thanks to the new issue, they were unable to do so. Other players who had witnessed the video noted that they’d experienced similar in recent games too. “I was playing a couple of days ago & almost the same thing happened, but he went under the ground,” one commenter said. Another claimed that they’d even witnessed their own death box flying off into the sky at “faster than running speed.” With the match happening in the Dummies Big Day limited-time mode, it’s unknown if the bug is linked specifically to that or if it’s something that can affect normal matches too. It remains to be seen if it is something that Respawn need to address in a coming update or if it’s something that will just disappear with the end of the LTM.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug making players respawn as different legends returns – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug making players respawn as different legends returns Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have uncovered a weird bug that can make teammates respawn as a completely different character than the one they’re currently playing as. One of the best parts about Apex Legends is learning a character and mastering them so you can use their kit to its maximum potential. That said, sometimes your skills may vary and there could be two or more legends that you want to play as. Well, thanks to a new bug, you can start the game as one character and then change to another when you’re respawned. As shown by user _Diomedes- on Reddit, their teammate somehow swapped from Revenant to Pathfinder mid-game. This is incredibly bizarre and it’s unclear what exactly triggers it, but some users in the comments have suggested that it happens when a player dies, disconnects, respawns and sometimes reconnects. Others say the bug has happened to them. “This happened to me my teammate was a Bangalore and I respawned them and they came back as a Bloodhound but they already left the game so the Bloodhound was standing there afk.” “It happened to me back in season 2 where I was Pathfinder but somehow respawned as Lifeline,” another remarked. Speaking of Lifeline, player McMax27 commented that the bug happened to them while playing as Loba and the game switched them to Lifeline. In this case, there was even video evidence. As Dexerto previously reported, this bug was more frequent back in 2019 as it was plaguing players back in Season 3. There was even a twist to it at one point where only the legend’s appearance would switch, but their abilities would remain the same. Since then, the bug seems to have either been fixed or patched out, but it has returned at some point. Hopefully, the developers can be alerted so they can fix this bug once and for all so it doesn’t affect any more games. Given how game-breaking this could be, it should be looked into as soon as possible.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug makes Wraith become the Void – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug makes Wraith become the Void Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered an unusual bug that is making Wraith, quite literally, become the Void after a failed finisher attempt. Ever since Apex Legends has been around, players have been finding strange and unique bugs that might be annoying at first, but can actually be pretty hilarious to look back upon. We’ve seen players be unable to drop into games because the map has become a colorful circle in the sky, Gibraltar’s face might end up disappearing in the pre-game menu, and there are plenty of others. Yet, players have uncovered a new issue that can make Wraith become one with her Void following a failed finisher attempt. The strange issue was showcased by Reddit user MasturNater7, who showed off one of their finisher attempts from a recent game. As the Wraith player summoned her Void for the Into the Light finisher, another Wraith decided to throw a punch at them – canceling out the finishing maneuver. Instead of the game returning to normal, MasturNater7 was left with half of their screen being replaced by the inside of the Void as it obscured their vision while the enemy players tried to take them out of the game. Though, they did manage to hang on and stay alive in the game. While the bug might be pretty hilarious to see as an outsider who it hasn’t happened to, it is sure to cause a bit of a panic when it happens to someone. If you’re unable to see even a tiny part of your screen, you might end up running into an enemy that you didn’t know was there. If it becomes a bit more widespread than just one or two instances, Respawn will likely have to investigate in order to figure out what is going on. For now, though, just be wary of someone trying to stop your finisher. Your legend might end up looking pretty different.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug makes looting impossible – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug makes looting impossible [jwplayer J4j9SlSw]Apex Legends players have run into a new bug that is preventing them from looting death boxes and via Loba’s ultimate ability even when they already have loot in their inventory. Just like every other battle royale on the market, Apex Legends follows the simple principle of find a landing spot, loot up, get kills, and be the last team or player standing. Respawn have added in different wrinkles with things like the abilities of legends but it is pretty much your typical battle royale. However, if your ability to loot and get your hands on some better items than what you’ve already got, it isn’t going to be a smooth ride – and that cruel fate has been falling upon some players in the battle royale. Apex player Komil85 showed off a video from one of their recent games where their ability to loot was pretty much completely taken away. Looking to get some upgraded loot, the Gibraltar user approached Loba’s Black Market Boutique ultimate but when they got into the abilities menu, they were greeted with nothingness. They couldn’t even loot a box of heavy ammo for their Prowler. However, Komil85’s problem wasn’t limited to using Loba’s Ultimate. The Redditor even tried to loot a purple death box but was greeted with the menu of nothingness. They were, however, able to pick up loot that their teammates dropped. A number of similar different issues with looting have been uncovered in the past, with the most notable being the use of the ‘Ninja’ controls layout. Though, it is unknown if that issue could have affected Komil85. If the issue becomes more widespread, Respawn would have to take action – just imagine Apex games where you couldn’t loot past your original landing spot? It wouldn’t be pretty. For now, we’ll just have to keep an eye on it in case the problem affects others.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug makes it impossible to finish off downed players – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug makes it impossible to finish off downed players Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre glitch in Apex Legends is instantly killing players mid-animation when they attempt to finish a downed opponent. As with every multiplayer title, Apex Legends has its fair share of bugs and glitches. While some can be incredibly entertaining and even helpful, others can completely ruin the gameplay experience. When an issue results in players being eliminated from a match for seemingly no reason at all, this is especially true. This is exactly what happened to a group of players in Apex when they attempted to execute a downed opponent. Instead of finishing off the enemy and acquiring their loot, both of them were killed in the middle of the finisher animation, resulting in an instant elimination. Apex Legends glitch causes finisher to backfire A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit showcasing a downed player eliminating two fully armored-up opponents has garnered over 1,500 upvotes at the time of writing. After being downed on the Worlds Edge train in Duos, Real_SovietUnion assumed they were about to be eliminated from the match. With two opponents right next to them, one of the enemies tried to save some bullets by performing a finisher. Seemingly out of nowhere, though, the player performing the finisher was instantly killed mid-animation, only leaving a death box behind. Their Duo partner quickly noticed they’d died and attempted to finish their teammate themselves. However, they also quickly met the same fate, being instantly eliminated from the match. It’s hard to know exactly what caused the execute glitch to occur, but it seems to be related to the enemy squad attempting to perform the finisher on the train. As you can see in the clip, both players push through the side of the train mid-animation, so it’s likely they collided with the terrain and were instantly killed. Either way, it’s impressive that Real_SovietUnion managed to get a squad wipe while still being downed. Even though this glitch isn’t likely to affect many players, it’s an issue Respawn may want to look into and fix. So, if you’re ever on the World’s Edge train, it may be better to use your gun over opting for the stylish finisher, it may just save your life.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug makes Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap invisible – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug makes Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap invisible An Apex Legends player has uncovered a strange bug that makes Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap invisible but sees the ability still suffer damage from shots. Ever since the start of season three, Apex Legends players have been uncovering more and more bizarre bugs as the days tick over. We’ve seen issues with being able to get into matches, being handed free wins, and even being able to change Legend mid-game. Yet a new issue with Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap ability may make the character unusable until a fix is in-place. In a post to the apex Legends subreddit, user themanianino showed off a highlight from one of their recent games where they were able to pick up an impressive squad wipe. At the tail end of that wipe, however, the Wattson player had been chasing down a Caustic who was in the middle of a revive. As any smart Caustic player might do, they seemingly dropped a Nox Gas Trap for cover but it didn’t appear on themanianino’s screen. From their point of view, it appeared as if they had a clean run to finishing off an exposed Caustic but they, in fact, managed to ring some shots off of the invisible trap. After a few moments, the trap appeared on-screen – still with a little bit of health left to be depleted before it would disappear for good. Of course, it’s not the only problem that has arisen with Caustic’s Gas Traps in recent weeks – with another fan uncovering a problem that showed the ability having a mind of its own and going for a run. Thankfully, though, members of the Respawn development do follow the subreddit for issues with the game, so this should be something they pick up on. If it’s a bug they can fix quickly, or at all, however, remains to be seen but players will be hoping that they don’t run into any similar when chasing the crown of Apex Champion.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug lets Rampart teleport through walls and buildings – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug lets Rampart teleport through walls and buildings Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been finding themselves falling through floors and teleporting through walls thanks to a bug with Rampart’s minigun ultimate. When Rampart was first introduced to Apex Legends, there was plenty of concern about how her minigun ultimate and Amped Cover ability would fit into the battle royale. There was plenty of interest in her at first, but in the seasons following her release, the legend has slowly slipped down the popularity charts even though she has been buffed by Respawn. It’s not uncommon to see a Rampart posted up with her minigun in a match, but if you’re not careful, she might just slip away and teleport through the floor. A handful of Apex Legends players noted that Rampart can set up her minigun and Amped Cover in a building and then find herself falling through the floor. Why is this the case? Well, as Redditor Riolzy shows, it appears that if Rampart is backed too far into a corner by her own abilities, and then disengages the minigun, the animation causes her to take a step back. Given that she’s not got much space to step back into, the character just floats through the wall and drops down a floor. She doesn’t take any damage in doing so, nor are her abilities lost, so she can actually make a slippery escape. Some players suggested that it may be a bugged spot, but if it’s actually an issue with her, it can go both ways when it comes to benefitting one team or another. If you get into a fight, you do lose a teammate for a few seconds. On the flip side, the Rampart gets a free flank and can jump on the back of unsuspecting players. It remains to be seen if Respawn will address it anytime soon, given it may work similarly to how Rampart was able to get into vaults without a key.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug lets Mirage decoys ruin Octane’s ultimate – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug lets Mirage decoys ruin Octane’s ultimate Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been encountering a strange bug that allows Mirage’s Decoys to completely ruin Octane’s jump pads simply by running near them. After weeks of waiting, Apex Legends season five finally launched on May 12 – giving fans the chance to finally play as the new legend, Loba. There were also plenty of match changes and character updates, but a few bugs have been rearing their head. Since the launch, players have been reporting problems with climbing fences and being unable to loot deathboxes, but there also appears to be a new issue that allows Mirage decoys to sacrifice themselves in order to wreak havoc with Octane’s jump pad. The problem was pointed out by Reddit user TheLordOfTheTubas, showing that if a Mirage player sends their decoy out towards an Octane jump pad, the decoy will be sent skywards and the jump pad will be destroyed. This isn’t a one-time problem, though, as the Redditor showed that it could happen again pretty instantly with their decoy destroying a second jump pad just moments after the first example. Players who use both characters noted that they’ve seen the problem in their matches but didn’t realize that it had become so widespread. One commenter, driverofdeath503, even pointed out that they’d seen Octane’s Gauntlet missing jump pads because of the problem. Now, the only people who can rectify these issues are Respawn and as of writing, they have responded to the bug on Reddit or added it to their Trello board of problems. Though, there are working on another problem that allows Mirage’s decoys to float in the air. That fix is being worked on alongside other problems like hit registration, reconnection issues, and the Ninja button layout not working as intended. Whether or not things will be straightened out anytime soon, remains to be seen, but both Mirage and Octane players will be hoping that they don’t think too long to sort out.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug lets downed players melee opponents – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug lets downed players melee opponents Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players that have been knocked down usually use a Knockdown Shield to stop other legends from attacking, in Season 4 it appears that you can actually fight back. Respawn Entertainment has never mentioned that a change has been made to the way legends behave when knocked down by opponents in previous patch notes, not even for the new season’s patch, leaving some fans pretty confused about what’s happening in the game since it went live. It’s difficult to say if it’s actually a bug or a secret tweak that’s been made to the game, although the latter isn’t really something the devs are known for. Patch notes usually cover all bases. One Reddit user, Kemble95, has posted an interesting video to the Apex Legends subreddit that might well have just revealed a bug that allows players to actually melee their enemies after being struck to the ground. What makes this bug, or change, so unusual is that since the game was released in February 2019, no legend has ever been given the ability to strike opponents when floored. However, the glitch shows Wraith pull out a blade on the ground – where you’re usually defenseless – and take down an enemy Lifeline that’s also knocked, but doesn’t have any melee abilities. Some players might look at the footage and think it would be a cool addition to the game, which may be true, although there’s definitely an imbalance at the moment if some legends are able to exploit this bug and others aren’t. There is no mention of the issue on the official Apex Legends Trello board, at the time of writing, and it’s unclear as to how many players dropping into the game have actually experienced problems of this kind.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug lets dead players peek for teammates – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug lets dead players peek for teammates RespawnApex Legends players have encountered an unusual bug that allows them to free cam while spectating teammates – peeking around corners and handing out helpful hints. As the Apex Legends seasons have gone on, players have been bumping into pretty strange bugs from update to update. Plenty of them have stopped fans from starting matches in the battle royale, while many others have completely ruined gunfights and sent players back to the pre-game lobby. Yet, a few have also cropped up and given players a look at what Apex would be like Respawn Entertainment introduced third-person mode or let NPCs run wild during games. However, there is a new problem that might just take the cake. The new issue revolves around players not being able to respawn and then having pretty much had a free cam view of the area surrounding their teammate. It was noted by Reddit user Ethnic_Pencils who claimed that the respawn shop didn’t drop them off as intended and as a result, they were left to watch their partner for the game run around by themself. As they were able to free cam around, it allowed the Redditor to peek around corners for their teammates – giving them a pretty handy leg up on the opposition would be stuck to the normal first-person view, whether they were alive or dead. Other Apex fans noted they’ve run into the bug themselves but it isn’t always to do with the respawn ship not dropping them off again. Some suggested that it should be the normal view for players once they are dead and spectating teammates, especially if the code is already in the game. Though, that would then likely cause complaints about having the ability to peek around corners for them. Either way, if it isn’t intended to be in the game, it’ll have to be something that the Respawn investigates – if only to see if they can replicate it and get a fix sorted out. On the other hand, however, it could very well be like the third-person glitch from seasons previous and we could be looking at a new LTM being in the works. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug is highlighting enemy traps through walls – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug is highlighting enemy traps through walls RespawnAn unusual bug is allowing Apex Legends players to see enemy traps through walls – giving them a heads up on the areas that they need to avoid. The launch of Apex Legends season four gave players of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale a brand new legend in the form of Revenant, changes to the World’s Edge map, new weapons, and cosmetics. However, it hasn’t been entirely smooth sailing for the new season. Players have been reporting bugs like using the Anvil Reciever hop-up and being able to use weapons while waiting for a revive. Yet, there’s a new bug that is giving some players a heads up on where enemies are located by showing off their traps. Being able to see enemy traps is usually reserved for players who use Crypto but, in a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user MukGames showed off the new issue that is letting everyone see them. In their video, the Redditor was standing on top of the construction site that sits near Fragment East when they noticed the outline of a Wattson trap. MukGames immediately began scoping in against a wall using the G7 Scout, where the outline of the trap stood. As it didn’t disappear, the Apex Legends player scoped out but continued looking in the direction of the trap. Again, its location remained fully visible despite them being stood behind a wall and probably numerous others. Some commenters immediately pointed out that you do have the ability to see friendly traps but, as MukGames noted, their team didn’t contain a Wattson and shouldn’t have been able to see the trap in the distance. Of course, this shouldn’t be happening but it is difficult to know if the developers are aware of the problem and if they’ve got a fix for it. As of writing, it hasn’t appeared on their Trello board that shows which bugs and issues that they are investigating, so we’ll just have to wait and see if it gets straightened out.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug is giving Bangalore three arms – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug is giving Bangalore three arms RespawnApex Legends players have come across a strange bug that gives Bangalore a third arm to summon her smoke while still holding onto a gun. With the start of Apex Legends season four, Respawn Entertainment freshened up their popular battle royale by dropping an all-new legend, changes to the World’s Edge map, and a new weapon in the form of the powerful Sentinel. While these types of changes are always the most exciting and create hype, the developers also address issues in the form of bugs, instability, and just general quality of life fixes. That’s already been shown to work with the infuriating level 500 bug being sent to the grave, but new problems are still rearing their heads – with fans finding themselves constantly lagging or failing to play a game at all. However, one of the less game-breaking and more entertaining glitches has been showcased on the Apex Legends subreddit, with user verytalltree pointing out that Bangalore can actually summon a third arm. While engaged in a fight, the Redditor emptied the clip on their R99 and tried to back off in order to reload by using Bangalore’s smoke launcher. Upon summoning the ability while reloading, a third arm appeared on the right-hand side of the player’s screen – making it look like she had three arms and hands. Many fellow Redditors saw the funny side of things, making jokes about what they had just seen, but one, TheFuturist_007, pointed out that Octane can sometimes have a similar issue with using his Stim. Another, newguy208, noted that it could actually be more of an actual animation from Respawn rather than a bug – comparing it to an older Battlefield title that had “intentional weird reload animations.” Either way, it’s probably not something that Respawn will probably have to address any time soon unless Bang starts being able to wield two weapons at once. For now, though, if you’re a Bangalore main, keep an eye out for a possible third arm. It is pretty funny after all.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug is catapulting players into the sky – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug is catapulting players into the sky Respawn EntertainmentA strange bug has been discovered in Apex Legends, sending players flying high into the sky for apparently no reason. As with any major game, Apex Legends has a regular slew of bugs in the game, and it seems to be something that is pretty much unavoidable. With every patch, something if fixed and something else breaks, an expectation that has troubled game development for years. While some bugs can be near game-breaking, be it in Apex or other games, some are pretty much inconsequential and more weird than frustrating or anger-inducing, and that’s exactly what happened here. Posting to the Apex Legends subreddit, BoomBoomSturmiee posted a video that saw him randomly soaring into the sky. After using a survey beacon to scan the map for the next safe zone, Sturmie – playing as Pathfinder – was quickly teleported to high in the sky, a good distance above the map and his teammates, before dropping back down and everything seeming as normal once again. You can see Sturmie’s confusion when he lands, looking around to try and figure out what just happened and if anything changed in the surrounding area, but everything else seemed to be as it should be. It’s clear that this bug doesn’t even begin to enter “game-breaking” territory, but it’s definitely a weird one that seems somewhat impossible to explain without Respawn Entertainment themselves having a look into it. At least it doesn’t directly affect gameplay, such as this frustrating looting bug that prevents players from picking up items of eliminated enemies. Pathfinder players will be no stranger to flying around the map and making use of verticality, but this might be a bit much even for them, so Respawn will likely aim to find out why this has happened and get a fix sorted sooner rather than later.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug creates ultimate long-range Wingman – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug creates ultimate long-range Wingman Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has encountered a pretty unusual bug in Firing Range that gave their Wingman a 3x scope and pretty much turned the pistol into a sniper rifle. As Apex Legends Season 5 has unfolded, players have run into some wacky and interesting glitches as well as some game-breaking problems that Respawn have needed to look into. These include World’s Edge going dark and having a night mode, being able to get inside a vault without needing a key, as well as randomly disconnecting from games while not receiving an error message about what has gone wrong. Though, the newest bug, while pretty funny to see, would definitely strike fear into the hearts of some players if found themselves under fire from a Wingman on either World’s Edge or Kings Canyon. It comes from Reddit user SauceSRfun, who pointed that while playing around in the Firing Range training mode, their game lagged, and happened to put a 3x scope on their Wingman. That’s right, a 3x scope on a Wingman. It wasn’t a bizarre visual glitch where the scope was floating above the gun or anything like that, it was clamped right on where you’d usually put a Digi Threat or a Variable Scope. As the Redditor showed, it would actually be pretty terrifying for enemies if it was real – while also pretty fun for the one wielding the Wingman – as they fired off long-range spots with pinpoint accuracy. In the past, this kind of bug has popped up and players have speculated that something is coming down the line – with the Dummie’s Day Out and third-person LTMs being the obvious examples. It’s unlikely that the Wingman with a scope would be a permanent change. Respawn have, apparently, already got plans for new long-range weapons for Season 6 with the Compound Bow. Maybe the long-ranged Wingman could be a part of some upcoming limited-time mode? We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug attaches huge gunshield to weapons – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug attaches huge gunshield to weapons Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends visual bugs are nothing new, but this gunshield-style texture problem is creating a big problem when it comes to combatting other teams While Apex Legends Season 11 has successfully avoided the server problems of seasons past, there has still been a number of bugs and glitches getting in players’ way throughout each game and this broken texture bug is chief among them. It doesn’t matter if you want to run away or fight back — every option is made more difficult when an oversized texture begins to block out the sun but not the enemy bullets. ‘Game-breaking’ Apex Legends gunshield bug The “gunshield” is so big that it blocks all but the edges of the screen for any player who encounters it. While there’s no official explanation for what causes this bug, players are reporting it happening in the midst of gunfights. When posting the original clip ManOfNiel also added a note about how often the problem occurs: “I noticed I was getting them stuck on my FOV randomly when I was getting shot. Turned it off and they haven’t shown up since.” Another user chimed in to commiserate and offer a temporary fix: “Had this happen a few times too. Might be a better way to fix but dropping the gun and picking it back up removed the decals for me.” How to fix Apex’s broken texture bug While dropping the weapon may be a temporary fix, there’s also another way that seems to stop this from happening: Open the Settings menu in-game – Select the Video tab – Scroll to Impact Marks and decrease the setting as low as possible. – This will minorly affect the game’s visuals but it also ensures that no one is fighting blind while inevitably getting third-partied via some pesky Octane tricks.

  • Strange Apex Legends Arenas bug makes real Mirage’s simple to find – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends Arenas bug makes real Mirage’s simple to find EA / Respawn EntertainmentA new bug has appeared in Apex Legends Arenas and is turning Mirage’s decoys from useful, deceptive sidekicks into dead giveaways for the enemy team — and making the Legend’s kit practically useless in most situations. Apex Legends Season 9 — otherwise known as Apex Legends: Legacy — introduced a flood of new content to the battle royale. In addition, the game’s latest season also brought with it an entirely new 3v3 game mode: Arenas — which turned out to be another major win for Respawn. Despite having a kit that many players originally felt was lacking, the game’s holographic trickster, Mirage, has received several impressive buffs over the last few seasons, and is now considered by players and Respawn alike to be in a much better place. Although his abilities can be both enjoyable and powerful in the right player’s hands, a new bug in Apex Arenas has transformed Mirage’s decoys from powerful diversions into dead giveaways for the enemy team, completely ruining the trickster’s purpose. The bugged decoys began appearing in Arena matches and quickly spread to social media as many in the game’s community began noticing that things weren’t quite adding up with what they were used to seeing from enemy Mirage players. Several images and videos began to circulate of bugged-out enemy decoys, with the enemy Mirage player’s nameplate clearly visible above their heads — something you’d expect to see from your own teammates, not the enemy player or their decoys. In a post shared to Reddit, one player highlighted how the bug was affecting a Mirage on the enemy team. Not only could they see the enemy decoy from a mile away, but the glitch also revealed which Mirage was the real one and which was the decoy, completely defeating the purpose of the character’s kit. In a similar Reddit thread, user dividedbywords shared video footage of the exact same bug. Despite not even having a Mirage on their team, the player (and likely their teammates) could clearly see an enemy Mirage decoy all the way across the map, even when it was behind cover. Obviously, this is a massive issue for anyone who plays Mirage, as the character’s entire kit is based around distracting enemy players with the trickster’s decoys. If those decoys can be used against him every single time they’re sent out, the character is effectively made useless. This decoy glitch does appear to be limited to Arenas, but it’s not quite clear what triggers the bug, or if there’s anything that players can do to remove it, so for now any Mirage mains might want to steer clear of the character until this gets fixed. While it doesn’t appear Respawn has caught wind of this particular bug at the time of writing, they’re sure to pick up on it as more instances pop up and will patch this potentially game-breaking exploit to make sure the Arenas experience isn’t completely ruined for Mirage players in Season 9.

  • Straightforward Mirage buff would make Apex Legends trickster even more bamboozling – Dexerto

Straightforward Mirage buff would make Apex Legends trickster even more bamboozling Respawn/EAApex Legends players are suggesting that Respawn Entertainment’s devs provide Mirage with a simple buff to make the smart-talking trickster even more bamboozling to play against. As the Apex Legends meta continues to evolve in Season 12, fans persist with suggesting nerfs and buffs to the Respawn devs. A simple buff to Lifeline’s Passive that would increase her healing capabilities is amongst the latest suggestions from players, as they strive to augment the game and its balance any way they see fit. Now, despite being in a good spot in the meta, one player has suggested a simple buff that would make Mirage even more confusing to play against – but it’s not overpowered. In a February 5 Reddit thread, Apex Legends player Themlox suggested a simple buff for Mirage that would make him even more baffling. “I’ve been thinking of an idea for a possible ‘buff’ for Mirage’s abilities. “It consists of making the Mirage decoys ‘solid’ when someone shoots at them and making the decoys when shot ‘mark’ damage as if it were the original Mirage,” said the player, along with a video to show what the new changes to the character will look like in-game. The Apex fan added: “All in order to further confuse the enemy and make it more difficult to locate the original Mirage.” Others enjoyed the suggested buffs and commemorated how they could’ve been easily broken, but in fact, it’s not overpowered. “You could’ve made this broken, but it’s not overpowered with the details you list,” said one. “It will be super frustrating for beginners to fight against, though. Mirage is a really fun legend to play, and this would make him more fun.” However, some weren’t on board with the idea as Mirage is in a good spot in the current meta: “It’s a cool idea and all, but mirage is in a good place right now, he doesn’t need a buff.” As explained in the original post, it wouldn’t be too hard for the devs to add this Mirage buff. However, it’s unlikely we’ll see them soon given he’s a relatively good pick for players at the moment. They could come in the future, though, depending on how the game’s meta shifts.

  • Stealthy Apex Legends player gets stuck in hiding spot with priceless results – Dexerto

Stealthy Apex Legends player gets stuck in hiding spot with priceless results One sneaky Apex Legends player found one of the best hiding spots in the game, but outplayed themselves by getting stuck – the end results are hilarious. If you’re not an aggressive Apex Legends player, and you don’t like to push or get into heated confrontational battles, hiding spots are your saving grace for ambushing unsuspecting enemies. You just have to make sure you don’t get stuck like this unfortunate soul did, especially if it’s in what’s arguably one of the best hiding spots in the entire game. Stuck between a rock and a hard place Reddit user ‘jeivY_’ shared his misfortune to the official Apex Legends subreddit, posting a clip titled ‘This is what I show my friends when they ask me how good I am in Apex.‘ In the video, the Bloodhound player jumps down a canyon cliff, before managing to land safely on a protruding rock. The rock made for a perfect sniping or hiding spot, as it rendered the player pretty much hidden in plain sight from any opponents, as well as giving a wide view of the other side of the canyon – only problem is, how do they get back up? A fellow Pathfinder squadmate shot his Zipline Gun down to the rock, creating a rope for jeivY_ to climb back up. You’d think it was an easy solution to a puzzling problem, but sadly, luck wasn’t on the their side. The player manages to climb the zipline back to the top, but not before completely missing his mark and flying over the other side of the cliff, accidentally killing themselves. (Mobile viewers, click here to watch the clip on Streamja.) People absolutely loved it The Apex subreddit went absolutely mad for the clip, finding it ridiculously funny. “I literally burst out laughing at work, in a very quiet room. I was rooting for you dude!!” one user said. “Also laughed out loud at work. In the bathroom. Awkward.” another replied. “That pathfinder was a real bro though,” someone pointed out, loving the way his fellow squadmate tried to help. “He is the kind of robot that would revive you even in round 5,” jeivY_ replied wholesomely. The hilarious clip truly is one of those ‘they had us in the first half, not gonna lie’ moments. Though people could probably make the hiding spot work if they could perfect their zipline landing.

  • SSG players slam HisWattson for quitting Apex Legends tournament to deny kill points – Dexerto

SSG players slam HisWattson for quitting Apex Legends tournament to deny kill points Respawn EntertainmentSSG’s pro Apex Legends squad slammed Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin during the $10,000 Carnage Cup tournament for quitting the match after being downed to deny kill points. On December 5, Knights hosted the Carnage Cup Apex Legends tournament, boasting a $10,000 prize pool. Over 20 teams competed in the competition over the course of six games and the whole event was streamed live on Twitch. In the end, NRG took first place, with TSM in second, and The Guard securing the third spot. Although the tournament went well and featured countless outplays and highlight-reel moments, the event didn’t escape drama, this time involving HisWattson and the SSG squad. During one of the matches, SSG had taken down the whole of FURIA and only had HisWattson left to kill. It didn’t take DROPPED long to find him hiding behind a rock using Seer’s tactical and after locating the FURIA pro, they assumed it would be another easy point to add to the tally. However, HisWattson instead quit the match early, preventing SSG from securing the point. This left the entire team extremely frustrated as they’d effectively been denied a guaranteed kill. Describing the FURIA player’s action as a “b***h” move and “cringe”, they felt as if the organizers of the event should grant them a point by default. The day after the event on December 6, Wattson responded to the situation by saying he only left the game because he was “ratting” and he assumed that as he had been Seer scanned, SSG would be awarded the kill or KP. When they were not awarded the KP, Wattson revealed that the tournament organizers did gift them the lost points so “it all worked out and didn’t affect the tournament at all”. Following this, he did acknowledge that he shouldn’t have left the game. However, he argued that none of the SSG players or organizers cared after he explained what happened and that the only people criticizing his actions already disliked him. In the end, SSG managed to rack up 46 points in total which placed them fifth for the Carnage Cup even with the extra gifted KP. By the sounds of it, it appears the whole situation has been resolved and the organizers handled it well by reimbursing the point.

Squid Game comes to Apex Legends with fan-made Wraith skin concept Respawn Entertainment/NetflixAn Apex Legends player has created a Squid Game-inspired Wraith skin and it’s got the entire community desperate for an official crossover. Since its release back in mid-September Squid Game has become Netflix’s most popular show ever, receiving widespread praise from critics and viewers alike. Well, one Apex Legends player has decided to take the collaboration into their own hands and create an impressive Wraith cosmetic based on the soldiers in Squid Game. The crossover trailer has gone viral in the Apex community, and players are desperate for Respawn to organize an official collab in the future. Fan-made Apex Legends Squid Game crossover goes viral It’s safe to say a lot of the outfits in Squid Game would be perfect in-game cosmetics in Apex Legends and humansas recognized exactly that. The 3D designer decided to create a Squid Game Wraith skin, mirroring the triangle masks from the TV series. Read More: Who is going to be in MrBeast’s Squid Game? – Using a pink and light blue color scheme, the skin looks absolutely incredible and captures the appearance of the soldiers perfectly. Not only that, humansas even created their very own crossover trailer, showcasing the cosmetic in action and giving players a true perspective of what it would look like in-game. https://twitter.com/humansas_/status/1450491943428009994 It didn’t take long for the post to go viral in the Apex community and receive an overwhelming amount of praise. With humansas taking the time to create a custom trailer, it definitely made the presentation feel like an official crossover. Despite the excitement around this fan-made collab, Apex players will be focused on the upcoming Season 11 update coming on November 2. However, it’s clear there’s a lot of demand for a Squid Game crossover, so we’ll have to see if Respawn can make it happen.

  • Spot-on Wattson cosplay will electrify Apex Legends fans – Dexerto

Spot-on Wattson cosplay will electrify Apex Legends fans Apex Legends, EA / NikkiBrutal, TwitterWattson is the latest addition to massively popular battle royale game Apex Legends, boasting electrical abilities that shock the rest of the competition – and fans are already paying homage to the Legend with some stunning cosplay. Cosplayer and streamer “Nikki Brutal” debuted her take on the game’s “Static Defender” on August 31, just in time for Seattle’s PAX West – and it’s honestly hard to believe the character didn’t come to life! Uploading a simple selfie of her costume, Nikki looks like the spitting image of Wattson, even sporting the lightning burns on her left cheek with carefully applied face paint. 600https://twitter.com/nikkibrutal/status/1167518802835193856?s=20Unsurprisingly, Nikki’s costuming skills were met with ample praise, with everything from Wattson’s parka to her gloves being on point. Nikki isn’t the only cosplayer to have honored Wattson with a spot-on cosplay, either: the character’s reveal at EA Play 2019 saw a professional cosplayer join the ranks of the game’s entire cast of characters in a massive recreation of King’s Canyon. In fact, the entire cast of Ape Legends was present at EA Play 2019, featuring jaw-dropping renditions of Gibraltar, Caustic, Bloodhound, Bangalore, and even a statue of Pathfinder (although, we can imagine that programming an entire robot for cosplay purposes might be a bit unrealistic). Of course, Wattson isn’t the only Apex Legends character to have been honored with mind-blowing cosplay, by far: popular Legend Wraith boasts a slew of incredible costumes in her honor, with some cosplayers even going so far as to create entire videos of the “Interdimensional Skirmisher.” With Wattson being the newest fighter for Apex Legends, fans can bet that more cosplays of the electrifying Defender will pop up in the future, as sites like Twitter and Reddit continue to be veritable breeding grounds for breathtakingly creative costume work. As Apex Legends approaches its third season, competitive players and fans alike have something new to look forward to for the game – which could give cosplayers even more material to work with.

  • Spooky Apex Legends mod transforms World’s Edge into the perfect Halloween map – Dexerto

Spooky Apex Legends mod transforms World’s Edge into the perfect Halloween map Respawn EntertainmentA night-themed Apex Legends mod for the World’s Edge map has got players calling for an official version in the upcoming Halloween event. The initial hype of the new Season may have died down, but players are still loving all of the content that came in the major update. Whether it’s the new Legend Seer, the deadly Rampage LMG, or the World’s Edge map changes, Respawn certainly knocked it out of the park with Emergence. Despite this, the community has already begun to focus on the next big event, and with Halloween on the horizon, a lot of players are wondering what the devs have in store. While a set of cosmetics have been discovered in the game files, we know very little about any map changes or LTMs coming with the annual spooky event. So, after a player created a night-themed World’s Edge map mod, a lot of the community are calling for Respawn to make an official version by the end of October. Apex Legends players want Respawn to copy World’s Edge mod If there’s one thing that gets Apex players in the Halloween mood, it’s a night-themed map. Although Kings Canyon was given a spooky transformation in previous seasons, World’s Edge and Olympus have never been changed for the October holiday. Well, a modder decided to change that, creating their very own Halloween World’s Edge map, fit with a gloomy and dark skybox. Uploaded to YouTube by KralRhino and created by Amos, the mod has been an instant hit with the community and has even led players to ask Respawn for an official version. Although the base features of the map have remained the same, it’s incredible how much a difference the dark and misty theme makes when playing out a typical Apex game. It’s impossible to know whether Respawn has any plans to create a night-themed World’s Edge or Olympus map in time for October. It’s much more likely that they’ll bring back the Kings Canyon Halloween map instead, but players can always keep their fingers crossed. Halloween only comes around once a year and it always brings some of the best cosmetics and LTMs for the community to enjoy. Let’s just hope Respawn has got something big planned for the spooky holiday, and potentially even a new night-themed map.

  • Spacestation Gaming explain why they’ve quit Apex Legends after 4 years – Dexerto

Spacestation Gaming explain why they’ve quit Apex Legends after 4 years Respawn EntertainmentOG organization Spacestation Gaming have explained why they’ve quit Apex Legends esports after four years. Having joined Apex Legends esports exactly four years ago to the day, Spacestation Gaming is a well-known organization that has achieved a lot of success. Racking up just under $250,000 in total winnings and reaching multiple top-10 finishes in ALGS championships, the team has been a consistent competitor during their time in the scene. However, following their 16th place finish in the ALGS 2023 Split 1 Playoffs, the CEO has announced that SSG will be exiting Apex Legends esports. Not only that, they revealed their exact reason for the departure and what steps need to be taken if they’re ever to make a return to the ALGS. Spacestation Gaming explains Apex Legends esports exit Taking to Twitter on February 13, Spacestation Gaming’s CEO Unit_Shawn revealed that they’re going to “miss Apex Legends and watching our teams compete” as it’s “one of the most entertaining esports”. However, in the esports market’s current state, the organization simply cannot continue to compete “without a fair rev share partnership to help sustainability”. Without consistent returns, “it’s hard to justify continuing to invest” when the future of the team is completely determined by tournament performances. In response to this tweet, someone asked Unit if SSG would consider returning to the ALGS if revenue share ever happened in the future. The CEO kept their reply short and simple, answering that “yes” a return could be a possibility if that system is implemented. For now, it’s not sustainable for SSG to continue competing in Apex Legends without revenue share. It’ll be interesting to see if this is something EA and Respawn consider in the future, as it’s clear certain teams are struggling to justify their position in the ALGS without consistent returns.

  • Sources: Pioneers to enter Apex Legends with buyout of GMT Esports roster – Dexerto

Sources: Pioneers to enter Apex Legends with buyout of GMT Esports roster Kansas City PioneersThe Kansas City Pioneers are set to join the Apex Legends space by buying out the players from the GMT Esports roster, a source close to the situation has told Dexerto. GMT Esports are a European organization with teams in Apex Legends and PUBG Mobile. The Apex roster placed fifth at the Apex Legends Global Series 2022 Championship. With that placement, the team earned $120,000 and were one place shy of appearing on the podium at the tournament. The roster is now set to sign with North America-based Kansas City Pioneers via a buyout. The European roster consists of Casper ‘Gnaske’ Præstensgaard, Matthew ‘SirDel’ Biggins and Maksym ‘Max-Strafe’ Stadniuk. This would mark the Pioneers’ first venture into Apex Legends esports. The organization has fielded rosters in Halo, Valorant, Rockey League, Splitgate and Madden. Kansas City Pioneers venture into Apex Legends for the first time GMT Esports jumped into Apex Legends in 2021 by signing four players. Gnaske and SirDel were among those first signed, Max-Strafe joined in February of 2022. With its current starting three players GMT Esports have had top finishes at high-tier events like the Jaxon Apex cup, AGLS 2022 Split 2 Pro League in EMEA and a 12th place finish at AGLS 2022 Split 2 Playoffs. Pioneers are no strangers to running esports teams from other countries or with foreign talent. The organization’s Rocket League squad is from Oceania and has competed in Oceanic and North American competitions. The deal between the two organizations is set to be announced within the month of September. The ALGS circuit concluded with the 2022 Championship back in July. There are third-party events for teams to compete in and Respawn Entertainment has yet to announce the 2023 circuit or other events at this time. • Solved Apex Legends Season 4 teaser hints at Revenant’s abilities – Dexerto

Solved Apex Legends Season 4 teaser hints at Revenant’s abilities EAThe Apex Legends community is one step closer to finding out more about the unreleased Revenant character after seemingly solving the mystery of a recently-released Season 4 teaser. With Season 3 slowly but surely winding down in Apex Legends, more and more clues are starting to surface on what’s to come in Season 4: Assimilation. A recent major twist saw Forge get stabbed after being announced as the next new Legend, and now many believe that Revenant, the mysterious figure who carried out the hit, will also be released in the upcoming season. Since that attack, Respawn have been releasing teasers in the form of “news reports” about what happened. Read More: New map teaser for Apex Legends Season 4 – The one they tweeted out on January 28 included a “corrupted” data file of what appeared to be a broken series of hand pictures. “New details are emerging as 3 Hammond Robotics employees failed to show for work today,” the message read. “While little is known about the presumed missing employees, the same (now corrupted) data file was found at all 3 scenes. If you have any information, please contact the Syndicate.” New details are emerging as 3 Hammond Robotics employees failed to show for work today. If you have any information, please contact the Syndicate. pic.twitter.com/7mepHFeNsP — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) January 28, 2020 Apex Legends fans solve “corrupted” teaser clip As soon as this teaser was tweeted out, the bright minds of the Apex Legends community got to work and didn’t take long for Reddit user ‘AunixYT‘ to separate each image from the GIF and piece them together to form a single, much clearer, picture. What they came up showed a single left arm with insect-like, bent figures holding a spherical object. Going by everything that’s been leaked and shown about Revenant already, it’s pretty obvious that the arm in the image was his. So, what does this mean? Obviously it’s another telltale sign that Revenant’s involved with the Season 4 proceedings in one way or another, but most players already knew that. The focus of this teaser should be the spherical object that he’s holding, as it serves as a possible clue for at least one of his abilities, all three of which had been previously leaked. According to the leaks, Revenant will have a poison dagger, poison bomb, and a “death recall totem” as part of his abilities, so the item in the image could be one of those three – likely the bomb. This ability allows players to “launch a Poison Bomb that damagers and slows targets hit,” likely dealing with an Area of Effect damage, and the object he’s holding could very well be just that. While the teaser doesn’t go as far as to reveal the unreleased Legend’s set of powers, it does at least move towards confirming that some, if not all, of the leaked abilities could be real.

  • Respawn – please make Solo mode permanent in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Respawn – please make Solo mode permanent in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentSolos are only back for a limited time in Apex Legends, but the game mode is so good that Respawn needs to make it permanent. The last time Apex Legends players tasted Solo mode was in August 2019, as a part of the Iron Crown Collection Event. Since then, a ton of new content has come to the game, but the Solo mode was always absent. In 2023, Respawn Entertainment completely ruled out the possibility of a solo mode coming back to the game. However, things have taken a surprising turn as Solo Takeover is back with Apex Legends Season 21, replacing Duos for the first half of the season. Since the update dropped, I managed to play various solo games and the experience makes even the most underwhelming map worth playing. It was one of the best experiences ever. First of all, weapons come in different rarities that are pre-equipped with the necessary attachments. This saves a lot of time as players don’t have to hopelessly look for the right attachments and they can jump straight into the action. This feature gels well with the Solo mode as the focus can be put onto fighting or engaging in duels more, rather than wasting time on looting. Ground loot is still present, however, but they’re mostly in the form of ammo, extra Shield Batteries, or Syringes. Secondly, it’s all about you. There’s no need to depend on other teammates, which helps you gain a better sense of the battle and your surroundings while still keeping you alert, thanks to Battle Sense. Battle Sense acts as a HUD indicator on the screen that shows up when an enemy is within a 50-meter range and mentally keeps you prepared for a gunfight nearby. The respawn times are minimal, as most of the animations are absent. You only need to wait eight seconds to get back to the arena. Surviving the first four rounds automatically grants extra EVO, and this is beneficial in surviving longer as you’ll potentially have more shield points than the opponent you’re fighting against. Lastly, you can request it from the same screen after getting eliminated, meaning you don’t need to come back to the lobby and search for a match again, saving pointless clicking and waiting in the menus. The presence of Solos adds much-required variety to game modes, breaking the monotonicity, at least for the first half of Season 21. The variety, speed, and unique style of play just go to prove how necessary Solo mode is for Apex Legends, and the importance of it becoming permanent.

  • Apex Legends sniper hits insane distance shot across World’s Edge map – Dexerto

Apex Legends sniper hits insane distance shot across World’s Edge map Respawn Entertainment – Apex LegendsThe latest map in the world Apex Legends features a speeding train, vault rooms containing valuable loot, and a wide open field for snipers to get to work. Released on October 1 at the start of Season Three in Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends, World’s Edge is a brand new map that replaces the former desert-based King’s Canyon locale. Set in a sprawling environment on the planet Psamathe, the new map features new terrain, new interactive features, and also appears to serve as a playground for remarkable snipers. In an October 8 video shared to Reddit, user ‘amzee12’ went on an absolute tear with the Legendary Kraber sniper rifle to demonstrate just how powerful long-ranged weaponry can be on the new battlefield. Picking up his first elimination from over 500 meters away, there’s no denying that the new map offers some crazy vantage points over the outdoor terrain. Continuing into the match, the gamer survives until three final squads are all that remains. Spotting another enemy in the distance, he finds another clean headshot to secure a second swift elimination. Finally, the gunman rounds out his efforts with one last snipe to seal the deal and secure the victory for his squad. Demonstrating just how powerful a Kraber can be in the right hands, this World’s Edge gameplay goes to show how sniping and sniping alone, can be a viable tactic on the new field. A 500m+ elimination is absolutely no joke in Apex Legends, when targets can be rather challenging to hit due to the rapid movement and fast-paced nature of the competitive title. Rather than playing it ludicrously aggressive like pro Apex Legends player Coby ‘dizzy‘ Meadows of NRG, this showcase is a prime example of how to play patiently and find your shots when they matter most. Recently, the Charge Rifle has been the source of much frustration within the Apex community, with players demanding changes to the function of the weapon.

  • Snip3down teases Apex Legends pro return amid Halo Infinite concerns: “I’m not happy” – Dexerto

Snip3down teases Apex Legends pro return amid Halo Infinite concerns: “I’m not happy” HCSFaZe Clan’s Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona is working on a return to Apex Legends after growing frustrations in Halo esports may possibly lead to another career switch. The Halo legend isn’t too pleased with the progress, or lack thereof, on Infinite’s development and is entertaining the idea of switching back to EA’s circuit, possibly in time for the ALGS Championship in July. “I am not a fan,” Snip3down said. “I’m not happy. I’m not happy. I’m not at all. That’s why I’m trying to go to that Raleigh event.” NICKMERCS interrupted by saying “come back to Apex,” to which the FaZe member simply responded with: “It’s in the works, let’s just put it that way.” It’s unclear if the FPS pro will stay with FaZe Clan to lead a new branch of the org or if he intends to land on another team. The latter could open the door to a TSM return or another competitor looking to add top-tier talent. The streamer even joked that he would go to the ALGS Championship and see if there’s an open spot he could fill on a team but at the moment he’s just “trying to figure s**t out.” Snip3down’s departure from the Apex scene took an emotional toll on the 31-year-old vet. He’s best known for his time with TSM Apex alongside Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen and Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe. Even after his switch to Halo Infinite, Snip3down couldn’t stay far away from the Apex scene, joining NICKMERCS’ ALGS squad before having to step down due to conflicting schedules with the Halo Championship Open Series. The mounting issues in Halo Infinite from both a gameplay and competitive standpoint has been a major point of contention with its fan base. Read more: ALGS 2022 Split 2 Playoffs Full recap – During the launch period for Halo Infinite, the FPS Arena shooter’s esports scene and overall fanbase got a surge of support to users upon release. Esports orgs and players were getting back into the Halo ecosystem, but its honeymoon period would soon end. 343 Industries are intent to fix the biggest issues around Halo Infinite and its esport, but it seems at least Snip3down already has a foot out the door to once again compete in Apex.

  • Apex pro Snip3down slams players suggesting aim assist is ‘busted’ – Dexerto

Apex pro Snip3down slams players suggesting aim assist is ‘busted’ Apex Legends star Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona has taken aim at players suggesting controller aim assist is ‘busted,’ showing off examples of how little the assist feature helps during gunfights in Respawn’s popular battle royale shooter. Shooters have long seen console players lock horn with PC enthusiasts regarding the nature of aim assist, which is often implemented into battle royales like Apex to ensure controller players can remain competitive in-game. The argument often spills out into the idea that console aim assist is “too powerful,” and creates unfair conditions for mouse and keyboard users when they’re playing on PC, with many computer-based grinders calling for its removal. Now, Team Reciprocity star Snip3down has waded into the fight, showing off how little aim assist plays a role in shooting for console and controller players in Apex Legends in a Twitter video shared on December 18. “First off, I’m using a golden stabilizer here — everyone knows the carbine is very accurate,” he said as he stocked up on ammo and gear in the game’s training yard. “Alright, I’m going to aim right here [the center of a training dummy] and I won’t touch my joystick,” he said, and opened fire his R-301. The bullet spread jolted the reticle up, past the dummy, forcing him to miss more than half the shots. “Whoa, you see that? Boy, aim assist is so strong in Apex dude, it’s almost as if the game shoots for me,” he continued in a sarcastic tone. “I don’t have to control any recoil! Can you believe that guys? Holy sh*t, it’s almost as if I don’t have to shoot.” The former Halo star also brought fans’ attention to Fortnite’s “broken” L-trigger aim assist feature, which pulls the reticle onto an enemy’s head for an easier headshot. When he did the same example on Apex, however, the reticle didn’t move. WHAT YOU NEED TO SEE BUT DON’T WANT TO BELIEVE ABOUT APEX AIM ASSIST! pic.twitter.com/vU2arVfedy — FaZe Snip3down (@Snip3down) December 18, 2019 Snip3down wasn’t the only console pro to take a swipe at the PC players demanding the feature be removed either, with Counter Logic Gaming’s Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin backing up his fellow star with his own explanation. “Does [aim assist] help you as a controller player in close-ranged gunfights? Of course, it is assisted aim, there is a reason that I could one-clip someone for 275 and someone else can’t on PC, because we have assisted aim,” he said. “This has been clarified by devs, this is a fact,” he continued. “However, do controller players deserve to get hated and sh*t on just because of that? No. We should be respected just like every mouse and keyboard player. Read more: EA, Respawn announce $3m Apex Legends Global Series “We have to overcome so many disadvantages, you can’t move while looting, we can’t choose heals while looting or moving, we can’t do a bunch of things that PC players can do, and our creativity is hindered by our console movement. “To all the controller players saying aim assist doesn’t exist, you’re wrong. To all the M&K players who say that it’s broken and controller players are only good because of it, you’re wrong too, and that’s clearly evident.” https://twitter.com/NiceWigg/status/1207408761758834688 The ongoing discussion regarding controller players vs. M&K players was first sparked by PC loyalists after EA and Respawn announced their new $3 million Global Series, which will boast 12 live events, and will only be played on PC. The announcement came as a kick in the guts for many console stars, including current PlayStation number one Zednim, who said he was disappointed that players who had been grinding “since day one” were being left behind. Read more: Shroud: Apex Legends “doesn’t sound appealing” anymore Considering this new tournament venture is one of the biggest things to have happened in the Apex pro scene since the game launched a year ago, it’s no surprise console players are jumping ship to make sure they don’t miss out. And, with all of Apex’s stars congregating onto one platform, it’s the perfect place to put to bed, once and for all, whether a controller or M&K are better — after all, there can only be one winner, and they could be using either in the $3m fight. That fight may have to wait, however, with details on whether console-to-PC converts will be permitted to use controllers, similar to Fortnite’s professional scene, yet to be confirmed. More details are set to be revealed in January.

  • Snip3down reveals why he’ll keep playing Apex Legends while competing in Halo – Dexerto

Snip3down reveals why he’ll keep playing Apex Legends while competing in Halo HCSHalo veteran Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona has explained why he still enjoys Apex Legends despite competing for FaZe Clan in the HCS, even giving the battle royale a few advantages over Halo Infinite. When Halo Infinite’s multiplayer first launched in December, plenty of players immediately rushed over to finally try their hand at what 343 had to offer with the franchise’s newest installment. While the early weeks were pretty good for the player count, things have tailed off recently, with players seeking out something different. Though, on the esports side of things, the game is still going strong. As Infinite has struggled on the casual side of things, Snip3down has continued to stream Apex Legends pretty regularly, mixing it in with his Halo scrims alongside the FaZe Clan boys. And, he’s got no plans to stop it either. The FaZe Clan star, who has competed in Halo since Halo 3, was quizzed during a recent stream about whether or not he’s still enjoying mixing Apex and Halo. “Dude, this game is like my mental sanity. Like, I’m not even kidding,” he said, singing the praises of Respawn’s battle royale. “Don’t get me wrong, I love competing in Halo, I love playing scrims and stuff like that,” he added, noting that there is no casual side of Halo that is fun – which Apex does have. Snip3down also noted that Halo also lacks a bit on the community side, as he often has to solo queue in Ranked. Though, when he hops onto Apex, there is also someone looking to team up. Timestamp of 1:00 As much as he’d like to keep competing in Apex, the HCS schedule has thrown up some problems for Snip3down, as he had to turn down playing with NICKMERCS in the ALGS. It remains to be seen if, long term, that’ll still be the case or if he’ll switch back to being fully focused on Apex.

  • Snip3down responds to ImperialHal rating him a “B-Tier” Apex Legends player – Dexerto

Snip3down responds to ImperialHal rating him a “B-Tier” Apex Legends player TTSEric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona and ImperialHal are two of the biggest names in the Apex Legends scene so when the current TSM team captain rated his former teammate a B-Tier player fans were eagerly awaiting a response. ImperialHal put together a comprehensive controller player tierlist for his ALGS competition back on December 21 and the community has been waiting to see what kind of response it would draw from those involved. While there aren’t many people more qualified to judge the competition than the face of TSM’s competitive squad, it did put him in a vulnerable place where he had to be honest about the people he plays against every day, even when they’re former teammates. The competitive camaraderie between Hal and Snip3down was well documented during their time together so the community expected a big reaction from the latter when he received such a low ranking, but Apex’s prodigal son was surprisingly chill when discussing it on his own stream. Snip3down responds to ImperialHal’s controller player tierlist Snip3 waitied for his community to bring it up before he even spoke on the situation. When someone in chat asked what he thought, he was totally honest about the matter. “I don’t really care where people rate me in the controller player category because I haven’t played this game competitively in a year. It’s not like my team did well in pro league where you can rate me that high,” he explained. After doubling down on the rating being “realistic” he assured his supporters that it won’t be accurate for much longer. “I have no doubt about it. I’m going to get my form back and start sh***ing on everybody.” That confidence isn’t unfounded as Wrona was on of the most-decorated players in the scene prior to returning to his roots in Halo Infinite.

  • Snip3down on TSM’s ALGS struggles: “It just seems like complete chaos” – Dexerto

Snip3down on TSM’s ALGS struggles: “It just seems like complete chaos” Joe Brady/ ALGSFaZe Clan’s Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona reacted to the current standing of the ALGS in a YouTube video and at one point specifically talked about TSM and the squad’s early struggles in Split 2. The first round of ALGS Split 2 concludes on March 18 and so far, the standing for the league has started to take shape. While some of the usual suspects have racked up points and sit at the top of the standings, the winners of the 2023 Split 1 Playoff LAN in TSM are tied for 16th. TSM placed 18th on Day 1 after six rounds of play between Group A and Group B. In those six rounds, TSM only had one top-10 placement and only racked up 14 total kills. On Day 2, facing teams in Group C, TSM fared better by placing 10th with three top-10 placements and 23 kills. In a reaction video about the ALGS season so far, FaZe Snip3down called TSM’s performances after winning the LAN tournament the biggest disappointment so far in Apex Legends esports. Snip3down comments on TSM’s early ALGS woes The FaZe player said that TSM’s calls and communication in-game seem all over the place and that this has probably led to their disappointing finishes so far. “I don’t really know what’s going on. It seems like Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen is just not in the best mental space… It just seems like complete chaos,” Snip3down said. If TSM continues on this trend, Snip3down said that some teams might target the squad to kick them out of LAN competition to give themselves a better shot at a major trophy. “No one wants to go to LAN to play against TSM,” he said. “We’ve seen how dominant they are, they were easily the best team at the London LAN, they were the best team going into the LAN, and they were the best team in scrims leading up to the first week of ALGS. So if it gets to the point where TSM has another rough day, people are going to start gunning for them.”

  • Snip3down explains why he can’t team with NICKMERCS in ALGS – Dexerto

Snip3down explains why he can’t team with NICKMERCS in ALGS NICKMERCS, Snip3down, Respawn EntertainmentFans hoping to see Snip3down and NICKMERCS team up in ALGS will have to wait a bit longer, as the FaZe player has explained why he won’t be playing anytime soon. Renowned as one of the world’s best competitive FPS players, Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona has long been feared and respected in the Halo community. The Halo competitor had been gearing up to team with Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff in the ALGS, but the mammoth Apex Legends team-up has been put on the backburner. Despite hopes they’d compete in ALGS together with fellow competitor Deeds, Snip3down has explained why he may need to drop out ahead of the competition. Snip3down’s commitments to Halo interfere with ALGS During Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen’s Apex Legends stream on February 26, Snip3down revealed that his commitments to the Halo scene will interfere with his ALGS participation. “I might not be able to play in any of the tournaments anymore, unfortunately,” began Snip3down. “Because of the FACEIT thing?” responded Dosen. “Yeah, well, because of that and it all getting pushed back. I can’t play more than the first month that it was supposed to allow me to, I gotta focus on Halo. I’m competing in that sh*t,” confirmed the FaZe player. (Timestamp – 0:36) Dosen, his former TSM teammate, was surprised that Snip3down wasn’t aware of the scheduling conflict: “I’m surprised that you didn’t know about the FACEIT thing because I saw a Reddit post about it.” The Halo Champion Open Series has been rolling full steam ahead since February 19, with events happening every weekend until March 20, 2022. It’s unclear who NICKMERCS will choose to replace Snip3down, but for now, the ALGS has postponed all upcoming tournament events until further notice so he’s got some time.

  • Snip3down clashes with NICKMERCS after calling out “solo to Pred” Apex Legends streams – Dexerto

Snip3down clashes with NICKMERCS after calling out “solo to Pred” Apex Legends streams Twitch,tv/NICKMERCS/Twitter.com/Snip3downSnipe3down took a shot at ‘solo to Pred’ Apex Legends streams and it attracted the attention of NICKMERCS as well many of the game’s other biggest names. Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona is a veteran of the FPS scene, and after a stint in which he returned to professional Halo, the multi-time champion has settled back into the Apex Legends world as if he never left. Throughout his illustrious career, Wrona has never been one to keep his opinions to himself and this time he has taken aim at the popular stream gimmick where players solo queue to the top rank of Apex Legends as a supposed display of skill. While this feat is impressive to the legions of players who will never come close to reaching that peak, the former TSM player thinks it’s just a way for good players to get away with smurfing against weak competition instead of playing at their own rank. NICKMERCS rejects Snip3down’s complaints about ‘solo to Pred’ streams in Apex Legends While there was some support from the community when it came to Snip3down’s claim, some of his fellow pros and content creators fought back against the notion. NICKMERCS was one of the biggest names to speak up, and as one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, his primary concern was that eliminating these kinds of streams would ultimately hurt the game in the long run. “What the f**k else is there to do?” the streaming mega-star asked. Mr. MERCS wasn’t the only player to take issue with the thought either. FURIA’s HisWattson, who is known for these exact kind of streams also chimed in on the matter, simply saying “sup?” in acknowledgment that he may have inspired the thought. He and Snip3down traded a few jokes back and forth, with Snip3down claiming iiTzTimmy’s version of the challenge in which he reached Pred in just one sitting was more impressive than any of HisWattson’s runs, and with the latter insisting that Halo legend Walshy was better than Wrona ever was. When responding to NICKMERCS, Snip3 later admitted that the problem may be that he simply can’t watch content in the games he competes in unless it’s related to professional play itself. There doesn’t seem to be any real heat at the end of the day, but the question of whether or not high-ranked players should be allowed to do these kinds of challenges may be one that Respawn has to examine in the future.

  • Snip3down claims “loophole” cost him ALGS spot – Dexerto

Snip3down claims “loophole” cost him ALGS spot HCSEric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona took to social media to explain how he lost his spot in the ALGS through a “loophole” in the rule set. FaZe Clan has had an interesting off-season in Apex Legends esports as the organization has dropped two players and has yet to announce its full roster for the 2024 season. The sole remaining player on the team, Snip3down, said on social media that he may have just lost his spot in the Apex Legends Global Series North American Pro League. The FaZe Clan player posted on December 5 that he asked the league in October if he could retain his team’s spot if he and his former teammate, and FaZe substitute, Gregory ‘SlurpeeG’ Sabia stuck together. The league responded to his message that day saying that a vote had happened two days prior that moved the spot’s captain to Josue ‘Phony’ Ruiz, who entered restricted free agency in November. “I no longer have a right to the spot. How is this even possible?” Snip3down said. Snip3down stripped of ALGS spot The FaZe player said he only received a response from the league because he also asked if he could register as a substitute for a pre-season qualifier. In a follow-up post hours later, Snip3down explained that someone else emailed the league to request a captain transfer and then revoked his status as two-thirds of the active Battlefly roster voted for the transfer. “Honestly it’s just a bunch of loopholes and a lack of understanding of the entire set of rules,” he said. It has yet to be revealed who sent the email, and who voted to strip Spin3down of his captain status. Per ALGS rules, two players must stick together to keep their spot in the league, even if one is a substitute and plays for another team. FaZe Clan is still listed as a part of the North American ALGS league, the organization was also added to the esport’s partner system earlier this month. The team will presumably retain its spot for the 2024 season but without Snip3down as its captain or on its roster. Snip3down has since announced that he is teaming up with Louis ‘BulletL’ Borg and Paris ‘StayNaughty’ Gouzoulis in the pre-season qualifier.

  • Snip3down claims Apex Legends pros are in “panic mode” amid Ranked backlash – Dexerto

Snip3down claims Apex Legends pros are in “panic mode” amid Ranked backlash HCSProfessional Apex Legends player Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona expressed concerns over the game’s competitive scene, as he and others have lost interest in playing. Apex Legends Ranked received a major overhaul in the game’s Season 17 update. A new ranking point, scoring system, and the removal of splits highlighted a lengthy list of changes. Community members have not necessarily sung the update’s praises. At the beginning of June, ImperialHal claimed that the game is in the “worst state” that it has ever been at the beginning of June. The general playerbase slammed Ranked for being so skewed towards the “Master” Rank as well, making this a problem that affects more than just top players. Respawn Entertainment responded by assuring fans they expect Ranked changes in Season 18, changes that can’t come soon enough in the eyes of many pros. Snip3down isn’t convinced that player interest will last much longer if the game continues on its current trajectory. Snip3down is “not actively addicted” to Apex Legends During an Apex After Hours podcast, Snip3down criticized Apex Legends’ new Ranked System. The FaZe player credited it for contributing to pro players losing interest in the game. “It sucks because we all still love the game. This is the first time in the entirety of playing this game that I’m not actively addicted to the game.” Snip3down believes if fewer streamers play, it will create a snowball effect for others falling out of love too. “I don’t watch any Apex streamers or reach out to friends to play anymore.” The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs begin in early July. Snip3down claimed he wouldn’t play Apex Legends if it weren’t for the pro scene. “I don’t feel the urge to get on and play. Thank goodness for comp because comp is my saving grace of wanting to play the game and having a reason to play the game. If it weren’t for comp, I probably wouldn’t be playing this game right now.” Respawn Entertainment already promised changes coming to Ranked, but Snip3down doubled down on its importance for the game’s survival. “We are all in a slight panic mode of if this does not change, how much longer will be around because it does feel like its starting to spiral.” For more, make sure to check out our coverage of the upcoming ALGS Split.

  • Snip3down bashes Respawn for adding Apex Legends skins instead of game fixes – Dexerto

Snip3down bashes Respawn for adding Apex Legends skins instead of game fixes Snip3down/RespawnApex Legends star Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona took aim at Respawn Entertainment for not addressing some of the issues that the battle royale has, instead, focusing on new cosmetics and skins. Over the last few months, Apex Legends players have grown increasingly frustrated with the number of issues that have plagued the battle royale – whether they are big or pretty small. With the launch of Season 15: Eclipse, players hoped that Respawn had addressed a fair few of these headaches. While the battle royale did do so, the update has brought about some new challenges. Games have become increasingly laggy, Broken Moon has invisible walls, and there are exploits to find easier lobbies. Some players have turned their back on the battle royale, opting instead to play Warzone 2 or Overwatch 2. Though, Snip3down has been sticking with it and airing his frustrations. Snip3down questions Respawn’s communication over Apex Legends During a recent stream, the former Halo pro was quizzed by one fan about his constant criticism of the battle royale, which led to s decently-sized monologue with his thoughts about the current state of things. The FaZe Clan member likened it to a job or relationship where things seem perfect but turn sour and communication drops. “It’s all about communication, and there’s none of that,” he said. “It’s a bit of, here, let’s shove more paid skins down your throat and here’s the new battle pass and buy this and buy that, but we’re not going to put any of the money that you give us back into quality of life fixes to fix the game. We’re just going to keep adding more and more stuff that you have to pay for.” Timestamp of 0:24 He’s not the only one to take issue with the influx of cosmetics taking priority over fixes. TSM’s ImperialHal was left baffled by the new sticker packs that Respawn have introduced. At the end of the day, cosmetics are not going away and they’re handled by a different team that does game updates. Though, maybe the devs will consider switching up which gets sent out live first.

  • Sneaky Wraith trick turns Apex Legends Gravity Cannons into death traps – Dexerto

Sneaky Wraith trick turns Apex Legends Gravity Cannons into death traps Respawn EntertainmentWraith has been the sneakiest character in Apex Legends since the game’s launch and Storm Point’s Gravity Cannons are only enhancing her signature ‘kidnapping’ maneuver. Anyone who has played Apex Legends is likely familiar with Wraith’s Dimensional Rift ultimate ability and how it allows teams to cover huge swaths of the map in a blink of an eye. That’s not the only use the ability has, as skilled players have found plenty of ways to use the Voidwalker’s tethered portals to capture unaware enemies and bring them back into the arms of a bloodthirsty team. That technique has been innovated once again thanks to the Gravity Cannons on Storm Point. Sneaky Wraith trick turns gravity cannons into death traps For the trick to work you only need to activate Wraith’s ultimate while in the air after using the cannon. Once you’ve hit the ground, isolate a target and place the portal a step in front of them in the direction that they are moving. This takes some practice, as the accelerated movement speed of the cannon will burn your portal out quickly, but getting it right will result in your enemy being dropped helplessly to the ground while you use them as target practice. While nava94’s example is an extreme one, it shows off the power that this combination has when properly used. One user joked that the execution of this trick was so good that it was bordering on criminal behavior: “Sir that’s illegal in 37 states.” Another player added that heaving a Horizon ult into the party could make this completely unsurvivable: “Did this once and teammate chucked a [Horizon ult] onto the poor guy when he tried to run…” This is just one of many reasons that Wraith has found herself at the top of the pick-rate charts once again in Season 11.

  • Apex Legends player finds sneaky sniping spot at the top of World’s Edge – Dexerto

Apex Legends player finds sneaky sniping spot at the top of World’s Edge A user on the Apex Legends subreddit posted a video of his team discovering a sniper’s perch up on a cliffside on World’s Edge, right outside of Capitol City – and just under the height cutoff for a playable, in-game area. A cunning competitor never reveals their deadliest strategies and secrets, but a chaotic one tells everyone about them. An Apex Legends player has shared a dangerous and diabolical sniping perch to the game’s community on reddit, and it’s a spot that requires both precision to reach and no qualms about heights to attain. The spot in question is just to the south of Capitol City, in the opening between the city and the Fuel Depot. It’s marked below on the map, so you can use the spot yourself, or make a mental note to check it if you pass through. To reach the spot, as demonstrated by the players when they found it, players should ride the zipline that goes directly up and aim towards the grassy ledge as soon as they come off the top. To stay up there is tricky, however, as you’re just centimeters below the height limit for the map. If you sit on the part that’s furthest from the edge that is slightly raised, you’re considered out of bounds. There is also limited cover, as other players pointed out in the comments of the reddit posts. However, the spot does have a unique advantage regarding how much area you can scout while up there. Even if you’re stuck on the ledge because of the height restriction, you can still get great views on players in Capitol City, in the Fuel Depot, and in the Overlook. Other users questioned whether or not the spot is considered “abusive,” and something that Respawn would consider removing in a future patch. Given how little cover is allowed, it could potentially remain in the game. If it were to be removed, it likely wouldn’t happen until the spot caused undesirable ramifications on pro competitive event – much like the infamous “olofboost” incident from Counter-Strike years ago, which resulted in Fnatic opting to forfeit from a tournament after using a glitched sniper boost on the Overpass map. If you decide to use the spot to your advantage, happy hunting – but be mindful to watch your step, and pray you don’t have to deal with a talented sniper that can knock you clean off your perch.

  • Sneaky Loba trick turns Apex Legends Gravity Cannons into perfect escape tools – Dexerto

Sneaky Loba trick turns Apex Legends Gravity Cannons into perfect escape tools Respawn EntertainmentA sneaky yet simple Loba trick makes her much more mobile in Apex Legends’ new Gravity Cannons than other heroes. The technique can even be used in a pinch to escape from enemies as well. One of the many new features spread throughout Storm Point are the massive Gravity Cannons. These catapults shoot legends to a predetermined spot downrange through the air. They can be used to bounce back and forth, and can make hunting down an enemy team into a wild goose chase. However, Loba is one legend who can use them to outwit opponents fairly easily. Loba’s Gravity Cannon escape It all comes down to Loba’s tactical ability: Burglar’s Best Friend. This move lets Loba throw her bracelet then teleport to wherever it lands, and can be used after you’ve been shot out of the Gravity Cannon. Momentum doesn’t carry over, either. What this means is just like in the clip, Loba will pop up ready to go, which makes it very handy for quick escapes. For instance, if you’re being chased by an enemy squad, you could use this trick to escape off to the sides if you’re all alone. If your team are the ones doing the chasing, you could use this to fake out enemies, making them think you’re somewhere you’re not. There are a ton of possibilities for this tricky little strategy. Especially since teams like to bounce back and forth using the Gravity Cannons during a fight. So, if you’re running Loba this season, it’s worth giving this trick a shot the next time you take the high road above Storm Point.

  • Sneaky Apex Legends spot giving out free kills on World’s Edge – Dexerto

Sneaky Apex Legends spot giving out free kills on World’s Edge Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player found a very sneaky ambush spot on World’s Edge, which players can reach from the middle building of Lava Siphon. Apex Legends’ maps are very intricately designed with tons of buildings and rooms with nooks for players to use for cover or positioning during indoor fights. While some players end up finding great ‘rat spots’ in Apex Legends, others find spots that are great for surprising foes for some easy kills. Now, one player has seemingly discovered the perfect spot on World’s Edge where players can lie in wait with their squad for unsuspecting enemies. World’s Edge spot giving out free kills Apex Legends player Googleflax found the spot and posted a video showing how to reach it on the Apex Legends subreddit. The spot is located in the Lava Siphon POI on World’s Edge within the middle building with staircases on either side leading up to the second floor of the building. To reach the hidden nook, players need to get a running start from the top of the staircase, wall bounce off of the left-side wall then clamber up the crates at the end of the stairs. Of course, it’s quite tricky to actually reach the far end of the staircase without some pretty solid movement techniques, so it may take a few tries before being able to reach the crates. Though Googleflax claims the spot is “useless” in their post, many commenters seem to disagree, like user Trailerparkoligarch who said “Definitely not useless! Imagine a Rampart camping that spot with a shield and Sheila.” Alternatively, others have already claimed that teams have used the spot against them, like PopularPaint2 who said, “In Ranked I’ve had an entire team sitting in this spot and insta killed me as soon as I walked up the stairs, so it’s pretty solid depending on the ring.” It seems this spot has already gained traction on World’s Edge, but only time will tell if Respawn will end up adjusting the spot in any future patches.

  • Sneaky Apex Legends sniper spot on World’s Edge is incredibly powerful – Dexerto

Sneaky Apex Legends sniper spot on World’s Edge is incredibly powerful Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ World’s Edge map features plenty of powerful locations players can use to get an advantage over their foes, but this sneaky sniper spot is proving incredibly powerful. Finding an elevated location in Apex Legends to safely shoot away at your foes can lead to many advantageous firefights. This is especially true when the defending squad can’t ascertain where you and your allies are. After all, having a high ground advantage over the competition is almost always a surefire way to guarantee a dominant victory. While World’s Edge is home to plenty of popular POIs, this new spot is proving popular amongst the game’s eagle-eyed snipers. Whether you’re looking to get the drop on your foes or just wish to counter snipe the competition, then you’ll want to know about this OP location. Apex Legends sniper spot is giving players free wins Apex Legends is home to numerous tricks, bugs, and glitches that players can use to get an advantage over their foes. While mastering advanced techniques like Pathfinder’s super grapples or Fuse’s ultimate wallhack, there are times when a powerful vantage point is all you need to best your rivals. Well, that’s exactly what YouTuber, Skeptation, recently showcased to his viewers. In order to reach this location, you’ll need to have Valkyrie in your party and head North West of Harvester. Once you’re at the location shown in the video, simply use Valk’s ultimate and fly towards the floating rock formation. Unlike the other aerial objects in the game, this obstacle doesn’t trigger the out-of-bounds countdown timer. This essentially means you and your squad can stay up here for as long as you like, which can give you a huge advantage over your foes. If you find yourself coming under fire when you’re near Harvester, then be sure to check this position for any pesky snipers.

  • Sneaky Apex Legends Season 4 hiding spots that’ll give you an advantage – Dexerto

Sneaky Apex Legends Season 4 hiding spots that’ll give you an advantage Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players can stay alive a lot longer in Season 4 by utilizing some clever hiding spots spread throughout the World’s Edge map. There are tons of nooks and crannies in the Apex Games, but players are finding spots that can easily bamboozle or catch someone off-guard for a quick kill or two. While some players tend to avoid a passive approach to their in-game tactics, hiding spots can be used for more than simply avoiding the Kill Leader in case you happen to come across them. In fact, a lot of the spots that Reddit user ‘KeepMeCrisp’ highlighted can be used to set up traps, catch a team in the middle of a defensive rotation and, of course, take a quick break to heal up. The first location is in a building south of Fragment East and it’s hidden in plain sight since it doesn’t really aim to obstruct players from seeing you. Instead, it relies on people to run by and not check it, giving you the chance to catch them off guard. Another spot in a building nearby might be familiar for some people since it’s very similar to one that was used at the start of Season 3 when players were first familiarizing themselves with World’s Edge. Known as ‘Bunker 2.0’ when it was popular, the trick makes use of a hiding spot above the scaffolding of the second floor so that you can look down the stairs for an impromptu choke point. A third good hiding spot makes use of purple lighting and scattered boxes to give people a great corner to shroud themselves from a player chasing or looting. Finally, the intricate piping and platforms that hold up Champion Banners throughout the map all also provide great places to sit and wait for unsuspecting enemy teams to walk by. Players can use these elements to climb up behind the banners that can also double as a safe place to hide in the open. Winning in a battle royale takes more than just bagging kills, it’s about staying alive longer than the next player to secure the elusive Champion screen. A good mix of defensive and offensive tactics can give people the best chance to come out on top in Apex Legends.

  • Sneaky Apex Legends hiding spot is perfect for Pathfinder – Dexerto

Sneaky Apex Legends hiding spot is perfect for Pathfinder EAOne eagle-eyed Apex Legends player has found the perfect little hiding spot for Pathfinder mains should they ever run into a spot of both near Lava Fissure in World’s Edge. World’s Edge has undergone major changes following Revenant’s entrance as part of the Season 4 update. However, there are many areas of Talos’ map that have remained relatively unchanged and have provided a safe haven for plenty of players. One such location is Lava Fissure, located to the North-West of the new Planet Harvester and just adjacent to the infamous Train Yard. Plenty of players opt to land near or around Lava Fissure, given that the area is densely populated with Supply Bins. But what happens if you’re nipped to the post and another squad takes all of the loot that you had your eye on? One savvy player has found the perfect solution. Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, ‘Cpt_Bartholomew’ discovered that you could latch under the main intersection of Lava Fissure if you’re playing as Pathfinder. With a fiery pit of lava boiling mere yards beneath your feet, players certainly wouldn’t think to look for you here. So whether you’re looking to evade an enemy squad or you’re waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce in an endgame scenario, this spot is an ideal way to lie low within the vicinity of Lava Fissure – provided that the circle is in your favor. There is one caveat to the spot, though, as only Pathfinder players will be able to grapple their way onto the steel beam. Don’t play Pathfinder? We’ve got you covered with this neat hiding spot in the Planet Harvester — an ideal spot for players overwhelmed by enemy numbers.

  • Sneaky Apex Legends hiding spot in Labs gives you easy kills – Dexerto

Sneaky Apex Legends hiding spot in Labs gives you easy kills Respawn/EA[jwplayer 5sPXAXbj]Apex Legends players have got a sneaky spot that could give you the drop on unsuspecting enemies who are rushing around Labs like headless chickens. Just like any other battle royale, there are plenty of different ways to play Apex Legends. You can hang back with someone as Crypto and play the edge of the circle. You can get ultra-aggressive with Pathfinder, or slow it down and set up defenses as Rampart. Each player falls into a different category but there are plenty of tricks and tips that everyone shares – be it the best way to set up a particular weapon or a killer hiding spot. Well, when it comes to the latter, players have got a ridiculously powerful one inside the middle room of Labs, where you can get the drop on unsuspecting enemies. It was pointed out by Reddit user OurSocialStatus, who showcased a clip from a recent game where they had ventured into the center room of Labs – only to be greeted by a number of kill-hungry enemies. Instead of facing them head-on, the player used the open door on the right-hand side of the screen to jump up to a perch by the ceiling. This gave them the high ground advantage, while also being hidden away. As enemies rushed into the room, OurSocialStatus was able to pick them off with ease as the foes struggled to figure out who had got the drop on them. Though, the Reddit user made it slightly easier for them when they dropped down from the ceiling. While the spot does appear to be pretty powerful, especially in the early game as plenty of players make a mad rush for Labs, you probably will need a bit of luck on your side to get there. If there are no enemies around, the jump to the ceiling should be pretty simple but if the timing is wrong, you could be caught out and sent right back to the main menu.

  • Smart Pistol is NOT coming to Apex Legends says Respawn dev – Dexerto

Smart Pistol is NOT coming to Apex Legends says Respawn dev Respawn EntertainmentAfter panic was sparked that one of Titanfall’s most controversial weapons, the Smart Pistol, was coming to Apex Legends, a Respawn developer has responded to clarify it’s definitely not on the way. A game file found in Apex Legends labeled Smart_Pistol_MK6_bullet had players who know about the weapon’s power worried it could be coming to the battle royale. Titanfall players know all too well about the Smart Pistol’s lock-on abilities and just how much debate it sparked in the community, even when it was nerfed and made a boost weapon that charged up over time in Titanfall 2. Data miner That1MiningGuy shared the game file on Twitter on February 24, saying “All the non-Titanfall playing Apex Fans don’t know of the hell that is the Smart Pistol. Yall cry about aim assist, you don’t even know the nightmare of what COULD be coming if it’s real.” Read More: How to wall run in Apex Legends – Thankfully, we don’t actually have to worry about this possibility at all, as the Smart Pistol is definitely not coming to Respawn’s battle royale. On February 25, Design Director Jason McCord said “Very annoying. No, it’s not coming to Apex. But thanks for spreading misinformation.” It looks like it was just a leftover game file after all, as originally thought. Very annoying. No, it’s not coming to Apex. But thanks for spreading misinformation. — Jason McCord (@MonsterclipRSPN) February 26, 2020 So, for all the Smart Pistol-hating Titanfall players, there’s no need to panic – it won’t be tearing up Apex Legends lobbies anytime soon. Of course, we can still expect new weapons added to the battle royale in the future. So far, Respawn have kept it to only one new weapon per season, but with Season 4 featuring a ‘split’ on March 24, there is a possibility they buck that trend. Even before Season 4 started, there were rumors of a new SMG coming, possibly the VOLT. These hopes were dashed when we got the new Sentinel sniper rifle. The VOLT is also a weapon from Titanfall, so although the Smart Pistol isn’t coming, it looks like Respawn may continue to draw from their established arsenal of weapons.

  • Smart Apex Legends trick gives Horizon OP movement speed – Dexerto

Smart Apex Legends trick gives Horizon OP movement speed Respawn/EAApex Legends players have got an interesting use for Horizon’s Gravity Lift tactical ability that could help her become a pain to deal with in tight spaces. [jwplayer A8oCoIXs] After all the rumors and speculation about Valk, Horizon joined the Apex Legends party with the start of Season 7, giving players the chance to tweak their playstyle thanks to her abilities. Her ultimate, the Black Hole is the star of the show as it gives Horizon and her teammates the chance to suck enemies towards them with a mini black hole, resulting in free damage and kills as the enemies struggle to crawl away from it. As for Horizon’s tactical, the Gravity Lift, it might bear a resemblance to Octane’s launch pad – given that you can use it to jump to higher spots. However, it might be more powerful if you need to outplay an enemy while in a tight space. As Reddit user loseryeet shows, instead of using the Gravity Lift to propel yourself to another spot, it’s actually better to use the air strafe speed boost that you get from it to outplay an opponent. If you toss the Gravity Lift down under, say one of the floating homes at Estates or Gardens, you can simply use the floor above you to control your movement instead of blasting off into the sky. It might be a quite situational tip, given that you’d need to be in a part of the map where your head can pretty much hit a roof of a floor, but the speed boost you get – as seen in loseryeet’s video – is pretty great and can leave your opponents bamboozled. As situational as it is, you will still need to have some solid movement skills in your back pocket, otherwise, you’ll go flying off to one side and give your enemy a chance to win the gunfight. If you manage to master the situational tip, you’ll definitely get a leg up on some foes, plus, you’ll be able to look out for it if someone tries to use it against you.

  • Smart Apex Legends tip makes Valkyrie perfect counter to door campers – Dexerto

Smart Apex Legends tip makes Valkyrie perfect counter to door campers Respawn/EAValkyrie players in Apex Legends have found a great use for her tactical ability, and it’s so simple that it might go under the radar for some. Prior to the start of Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, there were plenty of rumors about who would be added to the battle royale as the new legend, be it Valk or Blisk. Respawn finally confirmed that it would Valkyrie, a legend who takes to the skies and can rain down damage from above with rocket bursts. While the new legend hasn’t been in-game for too long, players have quickly found clever uses for her abilities – including a way for her to fly even greater distances than normal. Now, there’s another that can help deal with enemies messing about in buildings. Just like Fuse, who was added to the battle royale in the season prior, Valkyrie’s Missile Swarm tactical can actually be used inside of buildings that aren’t all that small. So, just as Redditor Strificus shows, if you’ve got an enemy who is in hot pursuit of you, or is hiding inside of a building to heal themselves, you can just use Valkyrie’s tactical ability to flush them out. In the case of firing it at doors, the Missile Swarm will completely break the doors off their hinges and deal damage to any enemy who is in range. That means that you can quite easily take them down, given they’ll be stunned and a bit confused by what’s happened as their cover has disappeared. Now, it might be a slightly situational tactic, given that some players said that the ability won’t fire off if you’re in too small a room. Plus, if you’re unlucky enough, you might even deal damage to yourself as you’re trying to stun an enemy. So, be careful.

  • Smart Apex Legends concept would help teamwork with randoms – Dexerto

Smart Apex Legends concept would help teamwork with randoms Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has suggested a clever new feature that would help squads with teamwork and decision making. Although the concept is incredibly simple, it could have a massive impact on gameplay. As with any squad-based FPS, teamwork is incredibly important when looking to pick up the victory in Apex Legends. It’s key members of a team stay in close vicinity of each other and are ready to assist with any unexpected threats. Of course, when playing with randoms in Apex Legends, staying close together can be a bit of a challenge. Players often run off to distant buildings to grab loot or just abandon their team completely. This inevitably ends with them being downed and caught out in a location too far away for their squad to assist. This doesn’t help with becoming a better teammate in Apex Legends. Well, a concept suggested by an Apex Legends player may be the perfect feature to help squad members maintain an awareness of each other’s position. Apex Legends distance tracking feature A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit suggesting a new distance tracking feature has garnered a very positive reception. The concept involves adding a small section beneath each squad member’s name that tracks their exact distance from your Legend. Although a relatively simple feature, it could completely change how random teams play with each other in-game. Read More: How to get Wraith’s Queen of Hearts skin – Having a distance tracker will allow players to maintain a better understanding of their position. When the number rises higher, it gives them a chance to consider the risks of moving further away from their team. This not only improves their decision making but will result in squads playing with more teamwork. Of course, just because this feature would tell players how far away they are from their squad, it doesn’t guarantee they’d pay any attention to it. As you can see, such a small feature shouldn’t be too difficult for Respawn to implement. We already know they’re planning on adding a damage counter in Season 8, so a distance tracker would be a great addition to come alongside it. However, we wouldn’t expect in the next update right away. If there’s enough demand from players for the feature to be added, then Respawn will surely take note.

  • Small change to Armor in Apex Legends would be perfect for shield swaps – Dexerto

Small change to Armor in Apex Legends would be perfect for shield swaps Respawn EntertainmentIf you’ve been baited one too many times and are sick of collecting broken shields in Apex Legends, one fan has devised the perfect fix. While abilities and gunplay are crucial to dominating in Apex Legends, the impact that shields have can’t be understated. In a pinch, having the highest tier of shield can truly be the difference between life and death. It seems that there might be some balancing for the coveted items coming in the future, though, as one Respawn dev has asked the community for their feedback on the game’s armor. Responses largely implied that players like the current state of the shields, but only time will tell if the devs decide to change it. A simple quality of life adjustment has come in the form of an interesting Reddit concept, which, if implemented, could make life a little bit easier. Solution to picking up broken armor One of the most frustrating things is finding what you think is a fresh red or gold armor, only to loot them and find that they’ve been totally depleted. While this might not matter if you’ve got time and shield batteries, if you’re in a pinch that glowing armor isn’t going to help much. To solve this issue, one fan has devised a simple fix that would make depleted armor a lot clearer to other players. “What if cracked/depleted Evo Shields stopped glowing to indicate they have no shield left,” they write, calling their idea “a small QoL change.” However, despite its simplicity, this would make things a lot easier for players. If you have time to pick up that red armor and recharge it then great, but if you’re using gold armor and have only taken a couple of hits, it might not be worth it. With over 5k upvotes and 100 comments at the time of writing, players overwhelmingly agree that this seemingly tiny change could have a major impact on how the game pans out. Respondents have praised the post for being a “good idea,” with one even suggesting that Respawn go a step further and “stop Loba’s ultimate picking up broken shields over full shields.” Will this be something we see in the future? Only time will tell. Until then, though, make sure you always double-check that any new shields you’ve picked up are charged, otherwise you’re just a walking “skin bag,” to quote Revenant.

  • Small Apex Legends buff would make Crypto’s drone much more useful – Dexerto

Small Apex Legends buff would make Crypto’s drone much more useful Respawn/EAApex Legends players are still holding out hope that Respawn will answer the calls and make a simple but effective change to Crypto’s drone that would allow him to become much more useful in a trio. Crypto was introduced as the newest part of the Apex Legends roster back at the start of season three, giving players another recon legend to use in their lineup. Since then, the Surveillance Expert has become a key part of the game’s meta and you will find plenty of Crypto’s stalking World’s Edge and Kings Canyon in hopes of giving their squad some key information. However, some fans are hoping that, alongside the rumored buff of being able to use survey beacons like Pathfinder, Crypto’s drone will get a long-awaited change to help squads even further. When the drone is in the sky, Crypto is able to scan the champion banners around the maps to see how many teams are within a 200m range of his position. As of now, only he can see it, but this simple idea would change that. Redditor atuka26 asked the Apex Legends subreddit if Respawn Enterianmnet could make it possible for Crypto to be able to ping the banners and give his teammates the extra slice of information. This would mean that anybody who solo queues, or searches for random teammates and doesn’t use a mic, would still be able to relay a warning to their squad. As long-time fans pointed out, it is a change they have been begging to see implemented for quite some time, with some questioning why the developers haven’t put it into place yet. “Honestly, I still don’t know why they haven’t added this yet,” commented chiefcow007. Another poster, Bartalon9, added: “I wouldn’t mind if this was just his straight-up passive. Like, have a wraith-like prompt to tell your teammates the number of squads entering the area.” Of course, any legend changes come from Respawn themselves and in-game balancing has to be taken into account before any tweak goes live. But, it’s not secret that Crypto is generally believed to be one of the lower-tier Legends. Whether or not they’ll make something like this change happen in the future, though, remains to be seen.

  • Slow-mo lobbies return to plague Apex Legends in Season 10 – Dexerto

Slow-mo lobbies return to plague Apex Legends in Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentSlow-mo lobbies have made a return in Apex Legends Season 10 and although some players hate the floaty gameplay, others love playing Respawn’s battle royale at half-speed. While the majority of bugs and issues in Apex Legends have a negative impact on the gameplay experience, there are a few that can enhance it. With the low-gravity glitch in the Practice Range being a prime example, players can spend hours jumping around and using their abilities while floating through the air. However, when these effects apply to your movement as well and take place in the main battle royale mode, some players can become a little more frustrated. Well, that’s exactly what happens when you end up in a slow-mo lobby, and they’ve returned in Season 10. Slow-mo lobbies are back in Apex Legends Season 10 Slow-mo lobbies are very different from a typical bug or glitch, as they’re related to the game’s servers. As Apex’s servers run at 20Hz, it means they simulate the world state once every 50ms. If this process takes more than 50ms consistently, it will slow down the game so the server can finish the simulation, creating a slow-mo match. In a ‘Common Issues’ dev blog, Respawn highlighted that the most likely cause for the issue is a machine running poorly at the data center, so it’s usually not a problem on the player’s end. Reddit user Llamaman61 showcased exactly what a slow-mo server looks like in Season 10, with players attempting to make their way across the map at half speed. While some members of the community love encountering these lobbies, others wish Respawn would eradicate the issue for good. Despite this, it’s clear the slow-mo matches are stilling popping up in Season 10, so we’ll have to see if the devs address the issue with another announcement or blog post.

  • Six tips and tricks to find the real Mirage in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Six tips and tricks to find the real Mirage in Apex Legends Respawn/EASpotting the real Mirage after he’s popped his decoys can be a real pain in Apex Legends, but some players have got six tricks that will make life much easier. As each legend has their own unique abilities and quirks, mastering them as your main character does require plenty of time and effort. Being able to master fighting against them, and throwing out perfect counters, can be even tricker. There are plenty of tricks that go into countering abilities like Wraith’s portal or Bangalore’s smoke, but when it comes to Mirage, he might the trickiest of all the characters to counter. The bamboozling legend can quite easily escape a dangerous situation thanks to his decoys, leaving you and your teammates pretty confused. However, there are six simple ways that you can spot the real Mirage amid the fakes. They come from Reddit user Forexz’s informative video, showing off the six small signs to look out for when Mirage summons his decoys and tries to get away. There are simple things like watching which Mirage flickers longest, listening for footsteps, and seeing which one has a second gun on their back as they try to run around amid the confusion. On top of that, you can also see the real Mirage if they have his heirloom equipped. Like the holstered gun giveaway, the trophy will appear on Mirage’s back, thus revealing the real legend amid the impostors. Track Mirage’s emitter light when he activates the ability. – Watch the light flicker as he runs. The real Mirage will flicker longest. – Listen for footsteps. The real mirage is the only one to make noise. – Look for a holstered weapon on his back. The real Mirage is the only one with one. – Look for the Heirloom on his back. The real Mirage is the only one to have the trophy there. – Use aim assist on console. You’ll feel a slight slowing in the aim assist when looking at the real one. – Console players also have a slight advantage as using aim assist will also reveal the real Mirage. When you aim at the legend, the aim assist will slow ever so slightly when you’re aiming at the real one. While these might seem like tips that are hard to follow during a fight, if you put time and effort into memorizing them, it becomes rather easy to spot the tells. Respawn might tweak a few things in the future to make Mirage an ever better trickster, but for now, you may as well use these tells to your advantage.

  • Simple Valorant-style anti-cheat would be perfect for Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Valorant-style anti-cheat would be perfect for Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentCheats are running rampant across the battle royale genre right now. The problem has plagued Apex Legends, Warzone, and more. With the problem only seeming to get worse, fans are contributing their ideas on how to fix their favorite games and make it a fair playing field across the board. Apex Legends is no stranger to the world of cheating. The game has seen its fair share of aimbots, wallhacks, and other types of exploits over the last ten seasons. It’s affecting both casual and ranked games and is basically inescapable. While it may not be an every game occurrence, it’s frustrating enough to experience once or twice, let alone several times a week. The problem has become so bad that even Nickmercs has chimed in on the ongoing cheating problem in Apex. The most recent string of hacks has players desperate to find an answer for this problem, and one Reddit user has come up with a sensible solution. Apex Legends anti-cheat solution Vanguard is Riot Games’ signature anti-cheat program. As a companion to Valorant, Vanguard has the ability to automatically detect cheaters and shut them down. This allows the game to end with no one other than the cheater taking a penalty of any kind. While Vanguard has worked perfectly with Valorant, the battle royale genre has more to consider than the tactical shooter does. The odds of finding a cheater in a ten-person lobby like in Valorant are pretty low. This changes drastically for Apex Legends, which pits sixty players into the same arena. The chance of a hacker invading a game goes up exponentially, meaning that an auto-cancel would kill a higher number of games, and fifty-nine innocent players would be reset for being in the same lobby with one cheater. This problem only continues to get worse when considering how ranked points work in each game. In Valorant, your rank isn’t adjusted until the end of the game and is mostly based on if you win or lose. Apex is a different story. A player could have a hot start to a game, only to lose it all when the game detects a cheater in the lobby. An in-game cheat prevention system is definitely a good start to ending hacking in the game, but getting that system right is crucial. How would an anti-cheat system work in Apex Legends It may be sensible for a Vanguard-like system to be implemented, but with some measured changes to how it works. The standard auto-cancellation could work for a game type like Arenas, but it clearly isn’t the right choice for the BR as a whole. Apex kind of has a live anti-cheat in its highest-ranked lobbies, with Respawn developer Hideouts often on the lookout for cheaters being caught on livestream. In these situations, the cheater is disconnected from the game, but the damage they caused isn’t reversed. If Respawn could improve upon this idea and include retroactive loss forgiveness for any RP that is lost in a game, that might be enough to start righting the ship. The key idea here is not just to punish the person who is cheating, but to protect those who are not. The auto-cancel option simply wouldn’t work, as a hacker could essentially torment an entire server just by repeatedly connecting to games with the intention of getting them canceled. While it may be a while before we see any official measure get taken against hackers, this system could hold the key to making the Outlands a safer place for its competitors.

  • Simple Valkyrie Ultimate change would fix her biggest issue in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Valkyrie Ultimate change would fix her biggest issue in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have called for a quality of life change for Valkyrie’s Ultimate to make it more reliable and consistent during high-pressure situations. Since her arrival in Apex Legends back in Season 9, Valkyrie has been a fan-favorite character due to her Titanfall roots and high-flying kit. Her unique set of abilities makes her extremely valuable to any squad and in Season 12, the Winged Avenger is currently sitting at an 8.7% pick rate. This makes her the fifth most popular Legend in the game and although her Tactical and Passive are both strong, it’s her Ultimate that provides essential rotations during high-pressure situations. Unfortunately, Valk mains are becoming more and more frustrated with an issue affecting the Skyward Dive and have called on Respawn to fix it. Valkyrie mains want “Clearance indicator” for Ultimate Currently, when a Valkyrie player attempts to use their Ultimate, sometimes the game will indicate to them that they do not have clearance. Well, a lot of Valk mains have taken to Reddit to ask Respawn from a “clearance indicator” so they don’t have to activate the ability to find out whether they can take off. Unlike a lot of other Ultimates in Apex, Valk’s Skyward Dive puts her in an extremely vulnerable state, so knowing exactly when you and your squad can rotate is important. “YES! The amount of times I go to ult in an intense moment only to be told I don’t have clearance”. A lot of users in the thread have suggested that Valk mains could simply activate their Ultimate and cancel it to check whether they have clearance. Although this is correct, doing so consumes 25% of the charge, meaning they’d have to wait a set amount of time or use an Ultimate Accelerant to get recharge the ability immediately. We’ll have to wait and see whether Respawn takes note of this issue, but with Valkyrie already having such a high-pick rate, it’s hard to see the devs making this QOL change a priority.
