  • Simple Valkyrie trick makes for easy escape in Apex Legends fights – Dexerto

Simple Valkyrie trick makes for easy escape in Apex Legends fights Respawn EntertainmentAn easy to execute Valkyrie trick has been showcased by an Apex Legends player that allows the Winged Avenger to boost away from dangerous situations. Since Valkyrie’s launch back in Season 9, the Winged Avenger has become an extremely popular Legend within the community. With a 7% pick rate and countless cosplays dedicated to her, she certainly has a loyal fanbase. However, although players have had a long time to learn the intricacies of her kit, tips & tricks are still being discovered. This is especially true when it comes to her passive VTOL Jets, as there’s no ability like it in the game. While they’re incredible for reaching new heights on each of the maps, they’re also useful for boosting around corners and making a quick retreat in dangerous fights. Valkyrie trick allows her to boost away from trouble A thread posted to the Apex Legends University subreddit has shown how to use Valkyrie’s passive to boost away from trouble and make use of the ability’s acceleration. After scouting out a building for an enemy squad, Reddit user jukefishron got into a gunfight with another player who was using an AR. As they only had a shotgun, they quickly realized they needed to make a quick getaway. While most players just would have tried to run or slide, jukefishron activated Valkyrie’s VTOL Jets for half a second to make the most of the acceleration provided. This allowed them to boost away from danger and live to fight another day. Although tapping VTOL Jets for a boost may seem like a simple trick, a lot of players only think to use it to gain height over their opponents. This is definitely a trick worth learning if you’re a fan of the Winged Avenger, as it’s guaranteed to help you escape a sticky situation. Using it around corners can be useful as well to fool your opponents and make it difficult for them to track your movement. If you’re looking to fully master Valkyrie, consider checking out our dedicated guide for the Legend where we lay out everything you need to know about her kit.

  • Simple trick gives Havoc secret buff in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple trick gives Havoc secret buff in Apex Legends Apex Legends’ Havoc is like Marmite – you either love it or hate it. Thanks to this secret buff with the Selectfire Receiver, though, we’re sure you’ll love it and will be running rampant around World’s Edge in no time. Respawn made every effort to diversify weapon customization is Apex Legends. With a plethora of gun attachments and their respective tiers, players have a wide range of choices to enhance their chances in combat. Although some weapons are more favored than others, the Havoc is one of those that players are either loyal to or not. Being an energy-based assault rifle, the Havoc usually requires a ‘wind-up’ phase before you can empty the devastating energy magazine into an opponent. Up until this point, players have been able to avoid spin-up time in auto mode as long as the Legendary Turbocharger Hop-Up is equipped. Not only is a Turbocharger hard to come by (based on its Legendary status), but equipping the attachment means that players can no longer exploit single-fire mode. However, with this handy trick, players can avoid spin-up time entirely for both auto and single-fire modes. Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, Powerate showed how to skip spin-up time by equipping the Selectfire Hop-Up. Which makes your Havoc rifle work akin to a Charge Rifle that is prepared to fire at a moment’s notice. Essentially, the player switches between single-fire mode and auto fire-mode while kick-starting the charge process. After switching to auto mode, the Havoc will be left ‘spinning’ and ready to fire, meaning that you can use fire your energy rounds in either single-fire or auto mode, respectively. In theory, you’d be able to walk around with the Havoc permanently charged and ready to fire, as long as you don’t switch weapon/reload – basically use an action that changes the on-screen animation of the rifle being charged. This exploit is especially helpful in single-fire mode, considering that the Havoc operates through hitscan and has no bullet drop — so the rifle will essentially fire an instant, fully charged laser beam across map. Of course, this is a temporary trick that can be used and will likely be patched in the future. Nonetheless, players can utilize the feature and beam opponents from afar in the sniper’s paradise that is World’s Edge.

  • Simple Rampart crafting buff would turn her into powerful Apex Legends builder – Dexerto

Simple Rampart crafting buff would turn her into powerful Apex Legends builder Respawn EntertainmentSince Rampart was introduced to the Apex Legends lineup in Season 6, she hasn’t quite found her footing among the most powerful characters, though this new buff would be a great step in the right direction. When it comes to buffing and nerfing Legends, a step too far could see certain characters either leading the charge or in the bin for entire seasons. We’ve seen it countless times with balancing updates over the years. Smaller tweaks are often what Respawn Entertainment goes for until more drastic overhauls are well and truly set to go. With Rampart, one of the newest characters in the game, it’s clear she could use a little push. Though too much of a buff would certainly be problematic. Balancing that fine line can be quite a challenge. A fresh idea that leans into her story could just be exactly what Rampart needs to excel in Apex Legends. Crafting came into the battle royale right alongside Rampart in Season 6. As a result, the crafty modder could do with more benefits in this regard. One such idea from Reddit user ‘DJ_Wakki’ would be to improve her resourcefulness. Rather than collecting 25 materials at stations across the map, Rampart should be able to “salvage more” and grab 35 instead. This would allow her to craft more powerful items earlier into each and every game, giving her a unique leg up over the other Legends in the process. The next idea piggybacks off the first mechanic and looks to buff her efficiency at any Replicator. It currently takes 10 seconds to craft any item in the game. Regardless of which Legend you’re playing is, this time stays consistent. Perhaps Rampart would be a great option to break that trend with though. “When Rampart replicates something, it should be done quicker compared to every other Legend,” they added. Rather than buffing her existing abilities and going overboard with her power, these slight adjustments could just make her a more viable pick. They wouldn’t outright break the state of balance, nor would they make Rampart an instant-lock for every game. Read More: Apex Legends Mirage is getting a hidden buff – Though Rampart is clearly in need of something and these ideas could just be the perfect fit. Not only do they fit with her lore, but they provide a unique advantage that no other Legend could quite match.

  • Simple Pathfinder buff concept enhances his Recon powers in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Pathfinder buff concept enhances his Recon powers in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has suggested a new Passive for Pathfinder that takes the Forward Scout’s Recon power to the next level. Pathfinder is one of the most iconic Legends on the Apex roster and is extremely popular thanks to his powerful Grappling Hook Tactical. Despite this, the Forward Scout is missing something that every other character in the game is equipped with, and that’s a Passive. Since the changes to Recon Legends, Pathfinder has been left without a Passive ability and a lot of players believe a new one should be introduced. Well, instead of waiting for Respawn to design one, a member of the Apex community has suggested their own and it’s getting a lot of attention. Pathfinder Passive idea is useful but not overpowered Although Pathfinder is a Recon Legend that can scan beacons, Reddit user Wicked-Death wanted to take his powers to the next level by suggesting an incredibly useful Passive. Instead of having to scan a beacon when you land, Wicked-Death thinks Pathfinder and his squad should be able to see the first ring straight out of the dropship. This would ensure they can land in a strong position for the rest of the match and gives them a slight edge over the competition. Unlike a lot of other Pathfinder Passive ideas, this one isn’t overpowered and shouldn’t impact the meta too heavily. One of the most frustrating aspects of Apex can be the long distances you have to travel to the next ring, and this improved Passive could alleviate that completely. Not only that, it works well to counter the new increases in zone damage that arrived in Season 14, as it’d be easy to stay in the circle at all times.

  • Simple Octane trick makes his grenades way more powerful in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Octane trick makes his grenades way more powerful in Apex Legends EADespite being out for several months now, many players are still discovering Apex Legends tricks, such as this one that allows you to throw grenades further as Octane just by using his Stim ability. Octane is the newest Legend to come to Apex, meaning players have spent the least amount of time with him – which means there are still numerous ins and outs to be learned with the character. Even some of the most seasoned Apex Legends players might not realize that coupling Octane’s Stim ability with grenade throwing actually allows you to chuck a grenade much farther than usual. Octane is the newest Legend. Steroids and grenades are a great combo As it turns out, using a combo of his Stim ability and grenades provides devastating results, and could allow you to pull off a play you would usually think is impossible. This tactic was pointed out by Reddit user Michael_D6 and confirmed by others in the replies, claiming that Octane does, indeed throw his grenades further while under the effects of the juice. The description of Octane’s Stim ability only mentions that he moves 30% faster for six seconds and nothing else. Players also discovered that he is able to scale walls faster than usual. When you couple this with his Launch Pad Ultimate, Octane very easily rivals Pathfinder as one of the more mobile Legends in the game and makes a great addition to any squad. Shroud says he has played the new Legend. Who’s coming after Octane? Season 2 of Apex Legends will be bringing a variety of new content including map changes, new weapons and a new Legend. The new Legend is something that will get fans most excited, and Twitch streamer shroud says he has played the new character, but warns that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too high. While Respawn never actually confirmed who the new Legend is, many signs are pointing towards it being Wattson. All of our questions about Season 2 could be answered as soon as EA Play 2019, where Respawn will be unveiling what to expect in Season 2.

  • Simple Octane trick in Apex Legends makes sliding even more powerful – Dexerto

Simple Octane trick in Apex Legends makes sliding even more powerful Respawn EntertainmentA simple Octane trick in Apex Legends is letting players put the game’s sliding mechanic to use in a whole new way – and it’s making the game’s resident speed-demon a nightmare in one-on-one fights. Octane is already the Legend with the single best movement speed potential in the game, but a new trick is setting the bar even higher for the speedster. This exploit combines the power of Octane’s amped-up quickness with the surprise of an unexpected slide animation to create the perfect way to bamboozle enemies in a close-range fight. Apex Legends slide trick is a must-know for aggressive players The trick starts with Octane’s Tactical ability Stim, which allows players to exchange a bit of health for a temporary speed boost. For a brief moment after finishing the injection animation, Octane’s walking speed is buffed enough to initiate a slide without ever having to run. While this might not be helpful on its own, the boost is strong enough that even aiming down sights doesn’t prevent the slide from being activated. After posting this clip, u/vinkker warned that it only works with Pistols and Shotguns, but is incredibly effective in practice: “I checked if it worked on SMG but doesn’t. Extremely good for 1v1s.” Another user in the thread warned that it’s not the easiest mechanic to keep control of if you are not used to sliding and shooting at the same time: “Yes and I hate it, miss all my shots because of it” While Octane is the Legend who will get the most effectiveness out of this trick, it’s also possible for Bloodhound during their Beast of the Hunt ultimate, as the two Legends receive a similar boost to their walking speed. This kind of movement-enhancer could be paired with the recent “punch-sliding” exploit to take Octane’s unmatched slipperiness to a whole new level.

  • Simple Newcastle buff could save his terrible pick rate in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Newcastle buff could save his terrible pick rate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentNewcastle was introduced in Apex Legends Season 13 but players believe his movement isn’t up to par, and one fan has even drawn up a simple buff that could boost his pickrate. Newcastle joined the Apex Games with a clear role as a bulwark for any squad that he plays with. Whether sending his shield to keep them covered on rotation or jumping to their aid when they get knocked, the big man is meant to bail people out of trouble. While that might work out well sometimes, each ability he spends to help out his teammates leaves him vulnerable on his own. However, if Newcastle were a little more shifty, there’s a chance he could stand on his own better and crack into the meta for the first time, and that’s what this fan concept buff aims to achieve. One simple buff concept could make Newcastle more viable in Apex Legends While the Heroic Defender already has some impressive movement thanks to his ultimate, that once-every-few-minutes utility isn’t enough to keep him safe when his tactical is on cooldown or currently being used to shield a teammate. So to fix the elder Williams’ vulnerability issues, Reddit user DANNYonPC believes the answer could lie in boosting his sliding movement, making him harder to keep up with as he maneuvers around the battlefield and protects his teammates. “New movement idea: 30% sliding speed [and] instead of sliding normally, he sits on his shield,” they said. This would not only integrate the newcomer’s shield even further into his kit, but it would also give him a new level of freedom to take chances and make plays on his own without fear of getting picked off by a bloodthirsty opponent. As a result, Newcastle players and their squadmates could open up their strategies a bit more and play with an aggressive mindset that is otherwise lacking when he’s a member of the squad. Only time will tell what Respawn ultimately decides to do, but with another Legend on the way for Season 14, Bangalore’s big brother is in danger of being left behind if he stays in his current form.

  • Simple Mirage Decoy buff idea would boost his Apex Legends pick rate – Dexerto

Simple Mirage Decoy buff idea would boost his Apex Legends pick rate Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has come up with a pretty simple, yet effective, buff idea for Mirage – and they’ve got the seal of approval from some of their fellow fans. Ever since Apex Legends first launched, Mirage has played a bit of a starring role in the battle royale. The charismatic legend is always cracking jokes – even if they are self-deprecating – when Respawn drops updates and trailers. While he might be the star of the show in those videos, when it comes to his impact in-game, the Holographic Trickster has slipped down the popularity charts over the last few seasons. That has changed a little in Season 12, where Mirage’s pick rate has seen a small uptick, but he still only clocks in with around 3% usage, which is middle of the pack. As a result, he’s been the target of some buff and rework ideas from fans, and one concept in particular has got some fans wanting Respawn to make a switch ASAP. The simple idea was thrown out there by Redditor Denzgam1ing, who suggested that Mirage should have a second charge on his Psyche Out tactical. Though, don’t worry, there wouldn’t be an army of Mirages on the battlefield like with his Ultimate. With three Mirage’s potentially running around at once, it would add an additional layer of protection to the real deal, even if it meant nerfing the health of the decoys. Plenty of players aired their support for the idea, noting how it is “simple yet effective” and could add a bit to the battle royale. “I feel like his decoys should also be able to go on ziplines, having 2-3 decoys out at once would be great and make his ult last a little longer,” commented another. Of course, the idea doesn’t work for everyone, with some suggesting that it might add a little too much power to Mirage’s kit. Though, one suggested that the current solo decoy should mimic Mirage a little better. “If it hits a deathbox, it starts looting. If it runs at a wall, it will try to climb,” said Butrint_o. At the end of the day, only Respawn can implement these changes and while fans might be supportive of them, they’d need a lot of testing. So, we’ll have to wait and see if the desired Mirage buff comes into play before long.

  • Simple Jumpmaster change in Apex Legends would make landing much improved – Dexerto

Simple Jumpmaster change in Apex Legends would make landing much improved The initial landing phase at the start of every Apex Legends match can often play a big role, and one player has come up with an idea that could drastically improve the process. Choosing where to land at the start of a match in Apex Legends can be a multi-faceted decision as players have to balance the reward of potentially getting good loot with the risk of getting into early gunfights. The landing process, of course, is started by the Jumpmaster, and a simple change to how the Jumpmaster works could make things a lot easier. What is a Jumpmaster in Apex Legends? At the start of every match, one player out of every squad is designated to be the Jumpmaster, and they essentially can control when the entire squad jumps out of the deploy ship and where on the map they land. When a Jumpmaster deploys, so do the other two players on the team, and as long as no one manually jumps earlier or detaches themselves from the squad, then all three players will glide down and land right alongside the Jumpmaster without having to click anything. The Jumpmaster on each team is chosen randomly, and any player who is given the role does have the option of relinquishing it to another member of the squad. There are a lot of places to land on the Apex Legends map, and the Jumpmaster is responsible for launching the team out of the deploy ship. How can the Jumpmaster be improved? Reddit user ‘tigerdroppings9‘ has come up with an idea of giving the player that is the Jumpmaster the ability to manually detach squadmates during the glide-down, similar to how the other two players can detach themselves. This would allow the Jumpmaster to make sure that neither of the two teammates touch down exactly alongside him once they all do reach the ground. Giving the Jumpmaster the ability to manually detach teammates would vastly improve the landing process. Why is this an improvement to the Jumpmaster? The biggest issue players have with being the Jumpmaster is when one or both of the teammates refuse to detach themselves when gliding down, which is often a problem when queuing up with randomly matched teammates who are less experienced. Since the Jumpmaster himself does not have the ability to detach from the group, when the entire team lands, players end up trying to loot the same exact rooms and areas, which can often be a frustrating experience. If this change was to be implemented, then the Jumpmaster would never have to worry about falling into that kind of a scenario. If he noticed that one or both of the teammates were not detaching as they were nearing ground level, he would simply manually detach them. It’s pretty obvious that this change would be a popular one, as the Reddit post detailing it ended up receiving over 6,700 upvotes in eight hours.

  • Simple Fuse passive idea would make a huge difference in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple Fuse passive idea would make a huge difference in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ resident Australian, Fuse, has fallen under the radar since his Season 8 debut, but this interesting buff to his passive could be just what the Legend needs. Ever since his explosive release in Apex Legends Season 8, Australian bombardier Fuse has largely found himself in the middle of the pack. In season 8, the developers revealed that Fuse had the second-lowest win rate and were planning a buff for Season 9. That buff came in the form of an extra charge on his tactical, and a reduced cooldown too – but it’s not been enough to move him up the rankings. A better passive for Fuse? Posting their concept to the Apex subreddit, one fan has designed a new element to Fuse’s existing ‘Grenadier’ Passive. His current in-game ability allows him to stack an extra grenade per inventory slot, allowing him to have two times the amount of ordinance. He can also launch grenades faster, more accurately and much farther than other Legends. This concept has added a new ability entitled ‘Masochist,’ which allows Fuse to absorb less damage from grenades. Writing that “damage [is] reduced by 30% for self-inflicted grenade damage,” including Fuse’s Motherlode ultimate and Arc Star stuns. This would allow “Fuse to be more aggressive with his grenades, while not being without total risk.” Fuse is all about dealing large chunks of damage, so this would be the perfect way to chunk down enemies and get out with only a couple of scratches. Considering his character lore and his love for all things that go boom in the night, this makes a lot of sense. After all “Fuse is an expert in explosives and mayhem, so why wouldn’t his tolerance to it be greater?” It’ll be interesting to see if Respawn introduce a similar style of buff for the Aussie in the future, but until then we’ll just have to try and navigate the Outlands with his current Passive.

  • Simple Crypto drone change would be perfect Apex Legends Season 11 buff – Dexerto

Simple Crypto drone change would be perfect Apex Legends Season 11 buff Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has come with a simple but effective quality of life buff that would help Crypto mains a fair bit, highlighting if their drone can reach things like Survey Beacons from their current position. When Crypto was first introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 3, a fair few players were left concerned about his drone. Some assumed it would be too powerful in finding enemies, with the other side of coin suggested that it would ruin him as a hero. As time has gone on, the legend has settled into the middle of the pack when it comes to power, as he’s neither going to guarantee you a win or be totally hopeless. Though, when it comes to pick rate, he’s near the bottom. Though, it has left Crypto mains repeatedly calling for different buffs, mainly to his drone as a way to open the legend up and make him a more interesting pick for players looking for something new. While some of these ideas have been pretty drastic – with some basically wanting his drone to be a moving extension of the Map Room on Kings Canyon – there are some simpler ideas that could fit the bill. In the case of Redditor hooktailss, they suggested that Crypto mains should be able to get a reading on just how far the drone can fly in any direction. Yes, experienced players knows the range is 200 metres, but a heads up display showing whereabouts it can fly on the map would make the character more accessible. This change wouldn’t highlight enemies in the circle, but just show if things like Respawn Beacons and Survey Beacons are within range of their current location with the drone, thus allowing teams to make decisions with a bit more knowledge. Given its a pretty useful idea and doesn’t change Crypto’s power too much, plenty of players are on board. “Loba’s Black Market has its range shown on the mini-map. Don’t see why it can’t be the same for Crypto’s drone range,” said one. “While we’re at it, Crypto should really be able to see Survey Beacon icons while in drone view.” Respawn have stated previously that they can’t just outright take fan ideas, but Crypto is due to get a change in Season 11, so maybe that’ll answer Crypto mains prayers.

  • Simple Crypto buff idea would be perfect for Apex Legends Season 9 – Dexerto

Simple Crypto buff idea would be perfect for Apex Legends Season 9 Respawn/EAApex Legends players have got a simple, yet neat, buff idea for Crypto that would make him an even better support legend than he already is. Since Apex Legends released over two years ago, Respawn Entertainment have been adding new legends to their innovative battle royale, and changing them as they go. Each new season brings a new legend and changes to the current crop, in the form of a buff or nerf. Since being added back in Season 3, Crypto has had his fair share of changes, but has slipped down the ranks. The Recon legend still pops ups in games, but he’s not as powerful as some other legends – finding himself down in Tier C on our tier list. However, some players have got a way to change that. The idea comes from Reddit user Zealousideal-Rule-24, who suggested that Crypto’s passive ability should be changed. Currently, the hacking legend is able to highlight doors and enemies while using his drone as a part of his passive. Read More: Apex Legends dev hints at Mastiff changes – However, seeing as that needs to the drone to activate, Zealousideal-Rule-24 suggests that Crypto should be able to see how many enemies are in the area by looking at the champion banners that are dotted around the Apex Legends maps – without needing his drone. Crypto users are able to look at the banners and get a reading on whether or not teams are within a 200m range of them. Though, that requires them to be in the drone, and they could be a sitting duck as a result. Players gave their backing to the idea, but also tossed in their own tweaks too. “This + a drone detection range buff please,” said one fan. “This is great for me! As I don’t know how to activate the thingy to see how many squads are in the area!” added another. At the end of the day, while fans have put forward plenty of ideas, Respawn aren’t fully sold on using them all as it could cause some plagiarism problems. However, Crypto mains will be hoping he gets a buff soon, and is back to being a strong legend.

  • Simple changes to abilities in Apex Legends make fights easier – Dexerto

Simple changes to abilities in Apex Legends make fights easier Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community is requesting simple color swaps to a few characters’ abilities that would help players distinguish them in firefights. Since the game’s launch, players have sometimes run into an issue where missiles from Bangalore and Gibraltar’s ultimates can get mixed up with the enemy’s attacks. Even though there are distinct voice lines or other queues that clues people about certain abilities being used, it can get difficult to track when there are multiple explosions and effects happening on the screen. That’s why various players are in agreement that Respawn should implement a change of color to multiple abilities that would let people easily distinguish if an attack is friendly or not. A simple mockup by Reddit user ‘goodboiluke’ shows how simple a change the improvements can be. When Gibby throws his beacon for the Defensive Bombardment or when Bangalore calls in her Rolling Thunder, a slightly purple hue can make it clear if a friendly ult is used. “Audio cues are there but sometimes in the heat of the moment you can easily miss them,” one user said about the proposed changes. “This would be a good thing. Good thinking.” The ideas would be an overall quality of life improvement for the game that could also be applied to other abilities that have been giving players similar problems. Reddit user ‘SAS97x’ was perplexed to see that Respawn still hadn’t changed Caustic’s Nox Gas Traps to make it harder for teams to unintentionally run into an enemy’s barrel. “Why has this simple but genius idea not been implemented?” SAS97x said. “Being in a fight with two Caustics, one on your team and one on the enemy team, is super annoying because all the traps look exactly the same.” The change would primarily consist of a green base for friendly Gas Traps, while an enemy’s would stay as is with a red bottom. While the Respawn is at it, they could also change the color of the Nox Gas from the color of normal smoke when Bloodhound uses their ultimate Beast of the Hunt. Without the changes, team fights could continue to be marred by the confusion these abilities can cause throughout the Apex Games.

  • Simple change to Lifeline’s ability is needed in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Simple change to Lifeline’s ability is needed in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends fan has identified a simple way Lifeline’s ability could be improved, after noticing a small, but important, issue with her protective shield. Since Apex Legends released just over a year ago, in-game medic Lifeline has been a fan-favorite pick. She is versatile and unique, as she can call in care packages carrying high-tier loot, alongside her reliable healing drone. In the past, some have called for her to be nerfed. However, in a game dominated by powerful, offense-minded, characters, there are calls to iron out her weaknesses. On February 15, one Apex Legends player suggested a simple change to one aspect of Lifeline’s ability, after an issue gave away an opponent’s exact position, rather unfairly. Read More: Incredible Apex Legends Heirloom ideas – When Lifeline is reviving a teammate, a protective shield is formed in front of her and the teammate, in order to ensure they cannot be gunned down as the revive is taking place. However, the player realized that the shield projects itself through walls and other solid surfaces. This allows an attacking squad to simply round the corner, wait for the revive to complete, and then gun down both vulnerable players. I think its actually time to fix this to be honest. Maybe when she is reviving in a corner, Then the shield just covers the corner instead of passing through the wall and let the whole lobby know that you are reviving your teammate.I think they just need to make the shield smarter. byu/DAminOOs inapexlegends “I think it’s actually time to fix this to be honest,” the player said. “Maybe when she is reviving in a corner, the shield just covers the corner instead of passing through the wall and [letting] the whole lobby know that you are reviving your teammate. I think they just need to make the shield smarter.” It’s not clear whether the current build of the shield is intentional and is a balancing factor, or is a glitch in the game’s design. Regardless, players want to see it changed and argue that it gives opponents an undue advantage over the medic Legend. The sentiment was echoed by a number of other players, who argue that the shield can be seriously inefficient, particularly in hilly areas where it fails to adapt to the game’s contoured landscape. At the time of writing the post sits at nearly 1,000 upvotes. Respawn have not messed around with Lifeline too much in the year since the game released, so it remains to be seen whether a fix will ever materialize.

  • Simple change to Crypto’s drone in Apex Legends would be a perfect buff – Dexerto

Simple change to Crypto’s drone in Apex Legends would be a perfect buff To give Crypto a bit more utility in the battlefields of Apex Legends, players have been devising the best way to make upgrades to his trusty drone to pick up the slack. Crypto arrived at the Apex Games with a ton of early fanfare at the turn of Season 3 on October 1, but since then, the Legend has fallen out of the limelight. There’s been a lot of ideas floating around the Apex community to push Crypto to the higher Legend tiers that make great use out of his aerial drone by giving it buffs in the form of new mechanics. As it is, the drone is only capable of marking enemies in its view and sending an EMP wave with Crypto’s ultimate – but there’s a simple way to make it pull its weight on a team. Adding to the growing list of community creations, Reddit user ‘reifel1’ made up a way to give Crypto’s drone an upgrade that would make it a great courier as well as a scout. The concept would make Crypto’s bot a “cargo drone” while also retaining its baseline of abilities. In their mockup, the drone can carry two loot slots to store items from afar. It looks like the drone would only be able to loot items that are already out in the open, though past concepts have also given the flying bot a way to look inside of Death Boxes. While the concept only gives the drone two slots to carry things, it could store multiple items of the same kind seeing as the mockup shows it holding three Shield Batteries while still having an open spot. With the help of the upgrade, Crypto could give teams some flexibility to loot from afar. To balance it out, an interesting mechanic to couple with the idea would be if an enemy team could loot the drone’s inventory if they managed to shoot it down – something similar to the loot drones introduced on World’s Edge. Whether it’s this buff or another, it’s clear that Apex players want some meaningful change to Crypto to give him a much-needed improvement in the game.

  • Simple change to Apex Legends Death Boxes makes looting much easier – Dexerto

Simple change to Apex Legends Death Boxes makes looting much easier RespawnDeath boxes have hardly been touched in Apex Legends since the game’s release. While there are ways of getting an idea of what loot is inside, it can be a hassle digging through each box to find what you need. Though this idea would make looting less of a chore though. Death boxes have littered the outskirts of the Apex arena since the game’s release. When you kill an opponent, their loot drops in a neat package that you can then shuffle through to get their goodies. However, they aren’t without their own problems. While there’s currently a way to see the rarity of player equipment from the outside, there’s no way of telling what’s actually in there in regards to the smaller details. It’s even harder if you didn’t knock the opponent yourself. If they had a certain armor type, you can tell during the gunfight beforehand. However, if it’s just a random death box, it’s a bit harder to be sure that it’s worth your time checking out. One community member has taken it upon themselves to petition Respawn to change that, though. The change proposed by ‘beaniign’ would provide a minimalist guide to what is inside of players’ death boxes, and can help players decide at a glance if it’s worth stopping for. “I got really tired of looking through a bunch of boxes after a fight to find the right ammo, and thought it’d be nice if the types of ammo in the boxes were labeled on the outside,” the creator said on Reddit. Beaniign’s death box idea would display the ammo inside of an individual’s death box on the outside. It would be classed by type — Light, Heavy, Energy, Shotgun, and Sniper. If there is ammo in the box, it will show on the outside with a bar denoting as such. The more bars on the outside, the more of a certain type of ammo there is inside. The slight change would make looting in the fast-paced battle royale just that much easier. If you are running dry on Heavy ammo for your Devotion, or Light bullets for your R-99, you won’t need to plunder through tons of boxes to find what you need — it’ll show you before you open. The idea has been well received by the community, who think changes to death boxes could be a worthwhile addition in future seasons. Death boxes have hardly been touched since the game was released in February 2019, and with more loot dropping than ever, sorting through it in this fashion would be handy.

  • Simple Bloodhound trick is ideal counter to Mirage’s Decoys – Dexerto

Simple Bloodhound trick is ideal counter to Mirage’s Decoys Respawn EntertainmentWhile Bloodhound might not be the most popular character in Apex Legends, players are slowly discovering a simple trick that could make them much more popular as the ideal counter to Mirage and his annoying Decoys. With every new season comes new Legends, and with new Legends we see older ones start to fall out of favor. While Bloodhound isn’t as popular as the likes of Wraith or Pathfinder, their Eye of the Allfather scanner is a very useful tool, exposing nearby enemies and making planning attacks a little easier. But there’s more to the ability than just that, and Mirage players might be about to lose their favorite utility. Similarly, Mirage isn’t a hugely popular character, but when you do run into him, and especially when you run into his Decoys, they can be very frustrating to play against. Now, though, players are starting to realize that Bloodhound might be Mirage’s perfect counter. Posting to Reddit, xRagingWrathx showcased the perfect usage of Bloodhound’s utility, as their scanner tactical ability revealed the location of Mirage and all his decoys – but with a slight twist. As you can see in the clip, the real Mirage is highlighted with a diamond above his head, essentially making his Decoys null and void. This worked out perfectly for RagingWrath, who had only the Mirage left to kill to take the win, and were it not for the Bloodhound scanner, the match could’ve ended up going completely differently. With the most recent Season 5 update, which introduced new Legend Loba and a number of changes to the map and gameplay, we’ve seen a number of players start picking up Bloodhound again, and thanks to this nifty trick we might see their pick rate continue to soar. There’s no doubt the ability is helpful, and in situations like this, it really could be the difference between life and death.

  • Simple Ash buff in Apex Legends would improve her tricky Ultimate – Dexerto

Simple Ash buff in Apex Legends would improve her tricky Ultimate Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have suggested that Respawn make a simple change to Ash’s portal so that they can avoid confusion when planning their next move. At the start of Season 11, Respawn dipped back into the Titanfall lore around Apex Legends and introduced the menacing Ash as a brand-new character to strike fear into the hearts of players. With her Arc Snare trap, ability to scan death boxes for enemies, and the Phase Breach portal, the offensive legend quickly became a popular pick for players. Despite that, though, there have been a few calls for her to undergo a few changes. Most recently, players have been suggesting ideas to make her Phase Breach ultimate a little more powerful, but there are others who just want it simplified so that they don’t end up in the wrong spot. Apex Legends fan Murtazi put the idea out there on May 8 that when a player is choosing where to place Ash’s portal, they should get an on-screen prompt akin to Loba’s bracelet. The idea would make the endpoint of Ash’s portal a bit more visible, rather than the small icon that currently appears when you go to place it down. While it’s only a small quality of life change, it did get some raucous backing from other players. “Excellent idea. Definitely have lost multiple games because of that damn ult not clicking where it should,” said one. ” It would be nice to have it as a toggle option,” added another. Some players joked that with it being such a common-sense idea, Respawn might take a while to get around to it. “This will be added in four seasons,” one player quipped. While the devs have said previously that they can’t just outright copy fan ideas, they have listened to calls for similar quality of life tweaks. So, maybe it could be something we see before long.

  • Simple Apex Legends UI change would make choosing a Legend way better – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends UI change would make choosing a Legend way better RespawnA community proposed simple tweak to Apex Legends’ User Interface (UI) would be the perfect way to make choosing a Legend way easier in Respawn’s battle royale. A User Interface is an integral but typically under appreciated part of video game design. It refers to the out-of-game areas in which the user and game interact, like menus. Countless hours is devoted by devs to UI but players rarely think twice about a solid interface. Modern Warfare 2’s is an example of a UI that has come in for considerable criticism, with an overhaul allegedly in the works. While Apex Legends’ UI is generally thought of well by the player base, there are areas the community would like to see tweaked to ensure the battle royale remains as good as it can be. Dr Disrespect, prominent YouTube streamer, is among those to have called for better UI in Apex previously. A simple UI tweak proposed by player ‘Trigger_001‘ would go a long way to securing that. Their concept relates specifically to the Legend select screen, encountered by all players ahead of dropping into BR matches. Currently, the Apex Legends character pool appears as one group of icons from which players select the Legend they want to play as. However, the simple UI tweak proposed would split Legends based on their category i.e. Offensive, Recon, Defensive and Support. Not only would it make it easier to find the legend players wanted, but would also improve team cohesion with players easily able to see who teammates have opted for and to make their decision accordingly. The post quickly garnered attention on the title’s subreddit, sitting at nearly 8,000 upvotes at the time of writing. While much more goes into Respawn’s design decisions than simple player concepts, they regularly reiterate their willingness to listen to and implement community feedback. As a result, while it’s probably not round the corner, we wouldn’t rule out this UI change making its way into Respawn’s game in a future season.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick turns Replicator into a deadly trap – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick turns Replicator into a deadly trap Respawn EntertainmentSometimes the last place you expect to find an enemy in a battle royale is above you. An Apex Legends player took advantage of that simple truth and revealed an easy trick. It’s an exciting time to be an Apex Legends player. Season 15 begins on November 1, and for the first time since Season 11, Respawn is adding a new map. The long-awaited feature, gifting, is also coming during Apex’s new season. Apex Legends broke its all-time player count record at the launch of Season 14, and Season 15 will surely draw players back in similar fashion. If you are coming back to the battle royale for the first time in a while or looking for an easy way to get kills, a player discovered the perfect way to take down unsuspecting foes. Apex Legends player reveals Replicator trap Replicators are stations that can turn crafted materials into loot. Their locations are randomized, and some items rotate daily, weekly, and seasonally. Reddit user IDoApex revealed an easy trick of waiting on top of a Replicator for players. If you catch someone with poor awareness, they may start using the Replicator without even noticing you on top. From there, all it takes is a direct hit with an Arc Star and a few bullets to finish the job. One player responded, “I know lately I have been seeing people hiding, but I think it’s my imagination and convince myself it’s a prop. I then proceed to get shot a lot.” Another user added, “imagine having the best game of your life, and then it ends because of this.” Take this as a lesson to look up next time you use the Replicator, or try this method for yourself.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick to wipe out prowlers on weekly hunts – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick to wipe out prowlers on weekly hunts Respawn EntertainmentIf you’re an Apex Legends player looking to get better at eliminating prowlers in the game’s weekly hunts, you’ve come to the right place, as this tip looks to be a serious winner. Respawn Entertainment pulled the trigger in Season 5 with quests, finally adding a PVE way to play – something that had been requested by players for some time. That doesn’t mean to say that things have come easy, though, as floods of deadly prowlers can quickly take you down if you’re not careful. Apex Legends Broken Ghost: High Octane The fourth hunt of the “Broken Ghost” quest started up on June 10, and it’s called High Octane. In an effort to grab another piece of the artifact, fending off monsters that are on the hunt for anything living will be your top priority. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with so many rushing towards you at one time, especially in open areas of the night time version of Kings Canyon, but one Redditor has revealed a handy trick just about everybody can use to pick them off one by one. As seen in the video above, user CGriffo55 uses Octane’s Launch Pad to constantly plunge the character high into the sky, but timing the fall is crucial. As you come down, landing again on the jump pad allows the player to basically yo-yo high in the sky, and use their weapon to eliminate prowlers as they approach. If you’re giving this sure-fire tactic a shot, do try to keep ammo in mind. The last thing you want to do is round up a load of these deadly monsters and end up bouncing around in the air with no way of defending yourself. Another user in the thread suggested another tactic as well, which involves Caustic. They said: “I rode the zip line back and forth and just set caustic traps everywhere,” and that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, either. It also shows that there’s more than one legend capable of rinsing through the prowlers with ease, so good luck in your latest hunt! Hopefully, these tricks help.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick reduces sprint to fire time drastically – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick reduces sprint to fire time drastically Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a ‘Sprintout cancel’ trick that drastically reduces the sprint to fire time when running with a weapon. It’s been a little over three years since Apex Legends first launched, and as Respawn Entertainment keeps adding new legends to the battle royale, players keep finding new ways to play the game. Plenty of tricks and tips have been compiled over the last few years, but there is still room for more – and that includes the new ‘Sprintout cancel’ trick that some players have been using. While sprinting and then trying to pull out a weapon can lead to some frustrations, especially if you’re charging head first into a fight, this new trick can really help in that department and speed things up a fair bit. How to do Apex Legends Sprintout cancel trick It was highlighted by ItsFlicked, an Apex Legends YouTuber who has uncovered a handful of useful tricks in the past, who pointed out it revolves around inspecting your weapon before canceling. That’s right, when you’re running with your gun out, you simply have to press to inspect your weapon and then quickly shoot before your character starts really looking at the weapon in question. This, as the YouTuber notes, will reduce the sprint to fire time from around 0.26 to a swift 0.05 seconds, which is a drastic difference, even if it does appear to be a bit minuscule in the grand scheme of things. While the trick can seem a bit fiddly, some controller players have noted that it works there too, and isn’t just specific to keyboard and mouse users. Though, success levels on controller can vary. It’s not exactly a game-breaking exploit but is certain to give some players an advantage. So, it remains to be seen if Respawn will take a look at it and maybe tweak a few things.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick might be the funniest way to keep high ground – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick might be the funniest way to keep high ground Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer ePrNLj8A]Apex Legends players have found a hilarious trick with Caustic that can easily shut down opponents trying to claim the high ground in-game. As with many battle royale shooter titles, claiming the high ground can give you a massive advantage in gunfights, especially in the latter stages of a match. Players with the high ground, in games like Apex Legends, can simply choose when they want to take a fight with any opponents below, whereas those without cover have very few ways to counter. While it is possible to climb up the side of any buildings in Apex Legends, players have now found an easy Caustic trick that can quickly prevent their enemies from leveling out the playing field. One Apex Legends player u/FourKicks17 revealed that Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap ability could be used in a creative fashion to keep the top of any buildings all for yourself. Although these gas traps are normally placed on the floor to surprise any unsuspecting opponent, the Apex fan revealed you can simply toss them at any enemies climbing the side of a building, hilariously knocking them all the way down to the bottom. While many Apex players would rely on simply shooting any approaching players, it could actually be quite useful to practice this neat trick for certain situations – especially if you want to end the game in hilarious fashion. FourKicks17 later highlighted an example of the Nox Gas Trap trick in an actual game, where they prevented a Pathfinder player from making a sneaky play by knocking them down to a more vulnerable spot. With the Gas Traps also deploying after they collide with the player, this tactic could make for some impressive highlight kills, particularly if there’s no other way for them to go. Although it can appear quite silly, this trick would be particularly useful in areas around the World’s Edge map, as there are often players trying to sneak up to the roof with clever movement tricks.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick makes Rampart perfect counter for Caustic campers – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick makes Rampart perfect counter for Caustic campers Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have got a neat tip that makes Rampart an absolute nightmare for Caustic campers, and it’s actually pretty simple to use. Since Apex Legends launched back in February of 2019, Respawn Entertainment have been expanding their cast of characters with the addition of new seasons. Each new legend has their own unique set of abilities, but can be played with a number of different play styles. Many players will go aggressive, hunting kills, and trying to use their legend as a counter for an enemy legend. However, some take the slow and low route. Posting up in houses, and using their abilities to be devastating. It’s not uncommon to see Caustic gas flooding a room in this scenario, but players have got a tip to counter it. It’s actually a pretty simple one too. As Redditor rryyxn demonstrates, if a Caustic is sat in a house with gas traps, you don’t have to enter their domain to finish them off. Instead, if you use Rampart, you can simply turn the tables on them and lock them inside. You throw down a bit of Amped Cover across the door, and then pull out the Sheila minigun. The mounted turret will rip through the doors with ease, and cause panic to any Apex Legends player on the other side. They can try and quiver in a corner, but if they run across your line of sight, it’s pretty much game over as rryyxn shows. Experienced Rampart players might have already used this one to their advantage, but seeing as she’s slipped down the tier lists, she could get a buff soon that makes her much more useful moving forward. As noted, campers could pick a corner to hide in, in an attempt to stay out of the turret’s way, but if you place it down at the correct spot, they stand no chance at all.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick makes Horizon’s tactical a lifesaver – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick makes Horizon’s tactical a lifesaver Respawn EntertainmentHorizon is already a popular pick in Apex Legends, but this healing trick might win over even more fans of the Gravitational Manipulator. Horizon is already one of the most shifty characters in all of Apex Legends, but there’s a little-known secret about her tactical that elevates her a little higher up on the list. This one may not be an eye-popper at first glance, but it can absolutely be a lifesaver for the game’s more aggressive players, especially those who main the Scottish scientist. Apex Legends trick allows Horizon to climb walls while healing As seen in a clip uploaded by Skeptation, it is typically impossible for a Legend to scale over objects while using a healing item. Anyone who attempts it will simply jump in place until they either cancel or complete the healing action. That all changes when Horizon comes out of her lift, though. Instead of being locked into walking or hopping, the spacefarer can climb up over objects and continue to use her item of choice. The climb is fairly slow but still offers a whole new world of alternative options for any player that gets put in a tough position. The trick requires you to start the healing process before landing on the ground, that way the animation is already locked in by the time her passive kicks in. Once that has happened, players are free to start making their escape, even if it’s a bit slower than usual. Horizon isn’t the only Legend who can do something like this, as Crypto has a similar trick while deploying his drone, but it certainly works well for a character who is all about taking away elevation from the opposition.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick makes grenades undodgeable at long-range – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick makes grenades undodgeable at long-range Respawn EntertainmentGrenades in Apex Legends can be extremely difficult to use and can often feel slightly underwhelming. However, if you use the correct technique, they can be incredibly effective, especially at long-range. [jwplayer vP8vm9zZ] Apex Legends is filled with a range of exciting weapons and throwables for players to use. However, one of the most powerful and effective pickups is the standard grenade that’s found in almost every single FPS. Unlike Apex’s other in-game throwables, if the grenade is thrown perfectly, it’s incredibly difficult for an enemy to dodge or avoid. This is due to the ignition time of four seconds that begins when a grenade is thrown by a player. At long range and with the correct technique, a grenade can be aimed with pinpoint accuracy and explode directly on landing. Apex Legends trick makes grenades explode on landing A thread posted to the Apex University subreddit, which provides tips for improving at the game, shows exactly how to throw grenades so they explode on landing, and has garnered over 3500 upvotes. EddygCPA points out a very simple grenade trick that a lot of players overlook, especially in enclosed endgame situations. When throwing a grenade at long-range, aiming it flat towards your opponents will allow them to see it coming and easily avoid the explosion. Instead, players should aim the grenade directly upwards and then angle it downwards to a point where it will fly through the air, landing on enemies from above. Not only will this make it less likely for your target to see a grenade in the air, but it will also ensure the grenade will explode directly upon landing. Of course, in order to utilize this technique, you’ll need to put in some hours on the Firing Range to ensure your grenade throwing is up to par. Read More: This Revenant Heirloom concept is incredible – However, there’s no denying it’s an incredibly simple trick that is guaranteed to catch your opponents off-guard the next time you throw a grenade. Who knows, the next time you’re in an end-game circle with one other squad left standing, this could be exactly what you need to pick up the victory.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick lets you loot death boxes while moving – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick lets you loot death boxes while moving Respawn EntertainmentA simple trick in Apex Legends can be a life-saver for controller players trying to swap out armor from death boxes while moving like they couldn’t before. Moving while looting death boxes has been a gameplay staple for PC players. To the dismay of many console fans, the mechanic might not be coming anytime soon, seeing as it’s actually a bug Respawn Entertainment decided to leave unfixed. This leaves players on their own to figure out an effective means of performing simple gameplay techniques by other means. Though it’s highly situational, one player showed how you can get the most mileage out of the looting trick to refresh your armor in a pinch. Apex Legends quick armor swap on controller To quickly swap out armor on controller, Apex Legends players should be on the lookout for death boxes near a zipline. Since you can’t move while looting anyway, people can quickly rummage through a death box to nab a new shield just before they get out of range. It’s a quick series of inputs to pull off, but it can be a game-changer if you find yourself in the heat of battle evading enemies with low shields. “For us controller players, it’s a great ‘move while loot’ solution,” user ‘JustAnotherPita’ said, while theory-crafting how to improve the tech. “I need to try it on the streamer building when someone dies on the first floor in the zip room I think I can take the swap and go up the zip at the same time.” Although players hope Respawn embraces looting while moving, this will have to do for players who can’t reap the rewards from the looting while moving bug. Still, this could be a saving grace for Apex Legends players on controller to stretch the limits of the battle royale’s looting mechanics.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick lets Wraith ‘instantly’ ambush opponents for easy kills – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick lets Wraith ‘instantly’ ambush opponents for easy kills Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends trick for Wraith lets players outmaneuver their opponents using her signature portals, lending itself to a one-person ambush tactic that can net free kills. Wraith has long been a fan-favorite to single out opponents. From ‘kidnapping’ a member of an opposing Apex squad to outpacing entire teams as one of the fastest Legends, Wraith has been a strong pick in the meta for a long time. Even after years of the Interdimensional Skirmisher’s dominance, people are still finding ways to get the upper hand in the Apex Games that can stun unsuspecting foes. Though her abilities don’t deal damage on their own, players have found a few gameplay tricks that lets them use her kit to pull out her gun much faster than intended. Reddit user ‘green_orange5’ found that Wraith’s gun instantly appears after using her abilities if used in a specific manner. “If Wraith is in phase and her portal hits 0% she can start shooting immediately, provided her weapon was out before starting the portal,” they explained. “This is useful for some unconventional 1v1s / desperation plays as seen in the clip.” Read more: Aceu changes stance on “pointless” Seer & claims he’s better than Bloodhound in Apex Legends – Usually, there’s an animation following her exit from interdimensional travel before she can pull out her weapon, but that’s not so much the case here. As long as the ultimate expires while using her Tactical Ability, Wraith mains have a way to ambush foes without giving them much time to react at all. The timing will be a bit tricky to get down, but that’s all it would take to add yet another offensive tactic in Wraith’s stacked toolkit to consistently pull it off. It’s unclear if Respawn would want to patch out this interaction in Apex Legends, but people can get a ton of mileage from it while it’s in the game.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick lets Vantage become a mobile Heat Shield – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick lets Vantage become a mobile Heat Shield Respawn/EAApex Legends’ newest character, Vantage, can create a mobile heat shield with her winged companion Echo, but some players are worried it might be a bit overpowered. The start of Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted saw the introduction of the previously leaked legend, Vantage. The Survivalist Sniper, who has a history with Bloodhound, has quickly become a popular pick in the Apex Games. As players have discovered, her Spotter’s Lens and Sniper’s Mark abilities can through the fuss of Mirage decoy and quickly identify the real one. Though, not everyone is best pleased about that fact. On top of those two abilities, Vantage is also to leap to her companion, Echo, and gain the high ground over enemies. Though, some players have already found another use for the winged warrior. Vantage can become a Heat Shield in Apex Legends While Echo is small, he is pretty mighty as Redditor SmithyButBig has proven, showing that Vantage’s companion is able to carry a decent weight on his back. The biggest example of which is the Heat Shield, as players are able to deploy Echo and the survival time together, making it pretty portable. As the Apex Legends fan shows, there’s no real stopping Echo when the Heat Shield is on his back and it doesn’t fall through him like it has done with other abilities. Though, it’s safe to say not everyone is pleased about the finding. Some players have suggested that the trick is simply too powerful and that Respawn will have to step in before long. “This gonna be patched now,” said one. “Better have fun with this before it’s patched out,” added another. Others questioned if Rampart’s turret and Caustic’s gas traps can also be deployed in with the aerial attack, but it doesn’t seem likely. So, this one is probably just a bit of a mistake from Respawn that will be addressed before long.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick lets Pathfinder “quick launch” for easy kills – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick lets Pathfinder “quick launch” for easy kills Respawn EntertainmentA simple trick with Pathfinder’s Grapple Hook lets him ‘quick launch’ into the air, which gives Apex Legends players a way to bamboozle enemies for stylish kills. Players dropping into the Apex Games know that mobility plays a huge part in the outcome of fights. Since most characters in the game aren’t super agile, people have been getting inventive with how they mix up their movement. This has led to a number of different moves being discovered that can be easily repeated or inserted for different scenarios during a match. A concept like this isn’t lost to Pathfinder mains who tend to make great use of the Legend’s Grapple Hook tactical ability to zip around the battle royale in an instant. Apex pro Otto ‘ottr’ Boström showed how to pull off the quick launch, something that he sees as a tool that can be helpful in a firefight. The clip in question shows him taking on a close-ranged 2v1, when the enemy Wraith got a bit too close for comfort. Casually, ottr showed how using Pathy’s grapple on the ground can give someone huge air in an attempt to throw off the other person for a vicious counterattack. “Lots of people tell me they never see this move so figured I’d spread the word!” he said before describing the sequence. For those unaware of the trick, it can definitely be a game-changer in tight situations, letting people get that spare moment they need to line up a shot. To pull it off: “Grapple, jump as the grapple hits, airstrafe the direction you want, cancel by pressing crouch, shoot,” ottr said. That results in Pathfinder getting shot upward, giving players both an offensive and defensive tactic rolled into one. Even before using the trick, ottr was managing the 2v1 pretty well, but when things got hairy he launched up to quickly end the fight. Just keep in mind that changes to Pathfinder’s Grapple Hook are getting looked over by Respawn, and it could alter how the ability is used. But until then, this looks like a worthwhile tool to keep in the bag if you’re playing Pathfinders, since it’s bound to throw off a few Apex Legends opponents in a match.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick lets Heat Shield move in the ring – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick lets Heat Shield move in the ring Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players can actually create a moving Heat Shield, if they know what they are doing. Those who have played the Apex Games since the very beginning will know the community has no shortage of smart ideas when it comes to making features better in-game. This doesn’t always work out to the benefit of all, when exploits are found and many find themselves at a disadvantage. However, the latest combination of a Heat Shield and another feature in-game looks like the perfect recipe for those looking to avoid damage when travelling to the ring. Apex Legends moving Heat Shield trick Previous exploits have allowed members of the community to get around the usual time limit associated with the Survival item, taking advantage of an unlimited shield glitch. While that particular problem has since been laid to rest, fans have found a way to increase its effectiveness with a simple trick. As seen in a Reddit clip, from user adamazing, the Heat Shield can be attached to a cargo bot if you’re located near one. This means that instead of diving between two different shields, and taking damage in between, you can actually have it protect you as you move into the storm. One player responded: “Do it again but shoot it… I wanna see if the Heat Shield breaks or just drops to the ground. It might even stay on the top part of the loot ball.” Another joked: “You really think I have the skill for that?” Of course, there are a few caveats to the trick. The cargo bot must be moving in the same direction as the next circle, and you’re going to have to time your throw pretty well to have it connect to the overhead target. If you manage to make it work and another player spots you, they may shoot down the target – which would make your path to the next ring a little trickier. That said, if you ever find yourself alone and with a long stretch to go until safety, this could ultimately be a clutch play.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick is the perfect counter to Bloodhound’s ultimate – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick is the perfect counter to Bloodhound’s ultimate Respawn/EAApex Legends players have noticed that Bloodhound gives off another major hint other than the sound when using their ultimate, and it helps find anyone who is camping in a corner. With the wide range of abilities and characters in Apex Legends, fans of Respawn’s battle royale have got a tonne of different ways to play. Want to be fast and rack up kills? Try Wraith and Pathfinder. Want to be more calculated? Crypto and Bloodhound are your picks. Though, the abilities are balanced for the most part, and players can easily counter – especially when it comes to ultimate. In the case of Bloodhound, their Beast of the Hunt ultimate gives off a pulsating sound that can be heard by anyone nearby – not to mention the big dome of the scan that passes through areas when triggered. However, there is also another giveaway that players have noticed, and it helps show the Bloodhound’s location if they’re trying to camp. That’s right, while you might listen out for the pulsating sound of the ultimate, you can also see a small glow through a wall or a door if the Bloodhound is sat there. Read More: Apex Legends Season 8 early patch notes – How is this case? Well, as Reddit user dewag shows, a Bloodhound in their game was sat in a corner trying to get a heal off. Though, because they were sat right up against the wall, the ultimate’s glow shone through. This allows eagle-eyed enemy players to see their position pretty easily. As dewag took advantage of it, they were able to catch the unsuspecting Bloodhound out, who must have assumed that they’d be fine otherwise. Now, how practical this will be in every game is unknown. Not many Bloodhound’s pop their ultimate and then sit in a corner, apart from maybe in the final few circles. Though, it is worth just looking out for in a game. Who knows, it could be the next 1000 IQ play like how Pathfinder’s are pretending to be MRVN bots.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick helps you drop to the ground even faster – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick helps you drop to the ground even faster RespawnIn Apex Legends, the speed at which you drop to the ground can be the difference between a good game and a bad one, and this simple but effective trick can help you do it faster. Like most battle-royale titles, Apex Legends is a game of inches. That means taking advantage of simple tricks, no matter how big or small, can impact the outcome of the game — especially at the start of each round. There are all kinds of tricks in the game at the moment. We’ve covered everything from tap strafing, wall bounces, and wall running to more specific things that work with certain legends like Pathfinder and Octane. However, this old-school trick that helps players drop faster after launching is one of the most effective ones you can do. And the best part is, it can be done with every legend on the roster. Let’s take a look at how to do it. The trick is straightforward to do. After launching at the start of a round, guide your legend over a high-altitude out-of-bounds area like a mountain or cliff with jagged edges. This will initiate the landing sequence. Then, while it’s happening, turn your legend directly into the side of the mountain or cliff. If you do it correctly, you’ll effectively ‘land’ there and lose your jetpack, even though you cannot stand on it. It will also tell you that you’re out of bounds. From that point onwards, all you need to do is jump down towards the ground. You’ll descend at a much faster rate compared to other players, no different from how you would be falling if you jumped off a building. It might be one of the oldest tricks in the book, but it’s certainly an effective one. After all, there’s nothing more satisfying than snagging all the loot in an area before your opponents have even had a chance to land. It can also be used in different ways on specific maps. For example, you can use it on Olympus to slide down the Turbine at the center of the map and start looting things on the ground quicker than anyone else.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick gives Rampage LMG 100% hip-fire accuracy – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick gives Rampage LMG 100% hip-fire accuracy Respawn EntertainmentThe Rampage LMG is already deadly at long-range in Apex Legends, but with this simple trick, it becomes 100% accurate at close-quarters as well. Since releasing all the way back in Season 10. the Rampage LMG has slowly established itself as one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Despite this, it does require a lot of practice to hit your shots as the gun’s fire rate is incredibly slow, making it very unforgiving if you’re not pinpoint accurate. This is especially apparent when hip-firing at close-range, where the Rampage’s bullet spread can get out of control in a matter of seconds. Well, that was until Apex Legends YouTuber The Gaming Merchant shared a simple trick that makes the Rampage almost 100% accurate up close. How to accurately hip-fire with the Rampage in Apex Legends When fighting at close-quarters in Apex Legends, it’s often better to hip-fire rather than using your optic or ironsight. This is particularly important when using LMGs like the Rampage as your movement speed is significantly decreased while ADSing. As a result, a lot of players become frustrated as their bullets with the Rampage seem to go everywhere except on target. Looking to help players out, The Gaming Merchant revealed a simple trick that involves slowing down your fire with the gun, instead of just holding down the trigger. This ensures the LMG’s bullets will always hit their intended target as long as your aim is sharp. To perfect this trick, it’s well worth heading into the Firing Range and strafing left to right while hip-firing. This helps you get used to shooting opponents at close-range while on the move, instead of just sitting in a stationary position. Although this tip seems unbelievably simple, it’s definitely effective and should help you stay calm under pressure. Who knows, it may even pick you up an extra win or two.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick gives Maggie mains a perfect counter to Gibraltar – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick gives Maggie mains a perfect counter to Gibraltar Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are salivating over this simple Mad Maggie trick that allows her to outplay any team playing behind the comfort of a Gibraltar bubble. Mad Maggie was added to the Apex Games in Season 12, making her the 17th member of the ever-growing roster. While she’s only seen middling success in terms of pick rate even after her post-release peak, the Rebel Warlord has proven to be useful in certain scenarios. This limited effectiveness has kept her an off-meta pick for more than a season now, but she does have a clever way of rooting pesky Gibraltar mains out of their bubbles, which does make Mad Maggie significantly more viable in niche situations. How Mad Maggie counters Gibraltar Reddit user Tizeps showed how Mad Maggie can completely counter fortified enemies like Gibraltar. The entire strategy hinges on being able to close the distance towards Gibraltar bubble before his team can take advantage of your rotation. Shooting her tactical at the side of the bubble that is closest to Maggie can help keep them at bay. Once the gap has been closed all that is left to be done is let her Beyblade-looking ultimate ability rip and watch the enemies come flying out of their precious cover like they’ve just bounced off a trampoline. As seen in the clip above, when done right this can lead to completely taking over the interior of the bubble and maybe even gaining some accidental damage from the ring for the luckiest players. Even if it only displaces the big guy on the other side, that still leaves a huge opportunity for any eager Maggie mains to get into the thick of the fight and put that shotgun-wielding passive ability to work This can also work against enemies hiding behind Rampart walls but takes a touch more skill to land the ult in the right place. Regardless, it’s nice to be aware off all the available options Mad Maggie provides when running into that kind of staunch defense.

  • Simple Apex Legends trick changes direction of Gravity Cannons – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends trick changes direction of Gravity Cannons Respawn EntertainmentGravity Cannons have proven to be the best escape tools in Apex Legends, but their static flight path does mean your getaway is predictable. This simple new trick alleviates that pain by allowing you to change your trajectory and the direction you fly in. The only downside to Storm Point’s Gravity Cannons is that, unless you’re playing Horizon, the cannons will land each legend that uses it in the exact same spot. This isn’t such a problem if you’ve got a lead on the people chasing you, but if there’s only a narrow gap between you and your pursuer, then these lifts are likely only delaying the inevitable. One crafty player has found a way to change this narrative though, and pulling it off is as simple as throwing a punch. How to change the direction of Apex Legends’ Gravity Cannons If you’ve used the Gravity Cannons even once in Season 11 then you know how they work: a Legend stands in the machine which causes it to load up before launching them into the air towards some faraway location further up the map. If you want to change that pre-determined landing spot, then you only need to punch the nearest wall as the machine readies your flight. The timing is key here so it might take a couple of tries to perfect it but when done properly, the cannon will allow you to land well short of its intended flight path, sending any would-be assailants soaring safely overhead. If doing this wasn’t enough, you could always turn back to the cannon and ready yourself for another launch if you’re being chased after the initial attempt. There’s also the option of pairing this with Horizon’s Spacewalk passive to really keep the opposing team on skates as you dash away to safety.

  • Simple Apex Legends training mode overhaul would be perfect for future rework – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends training mode overhaul would be perfect for future rework Respawn/EAApex Legends players are still hoping that Respawn will hear their calls and change the Firing Range practice mode, as they’ve got a few more ideas for changes. For many players, hot dropping into a game or two of Apex Legends is just about all the warm-up they need before taking things seriously. Though, there are plenty of other fans who utilize the Firing Range beforehand. The practice mode allows players to use every weapon, and legend, to see what works best for them before a match. Though, players have regularly called for changes and updates. Recent leaks have suggested that moving targets, among other things, will soon descend on the Firing Range. However, there are some other additions that players are eager to use. One idea was tossed out by Redditor Snoo-16495, who stated that Respawn would be smart to add fully-stocked deathboxes around the practice area so that players, especially those who use controller, can practice their inventory sorting skills. That spawned additional ideas from other fans, including a suggestion that would allow players to take on their friends in warm-up fights. “What the Firing Range needs is a single building with 2 floors and doors, like the buildings near caustic treatment.. so at least a practice 1v1 fight with a friend can be simulated,” said ashkenov. Another player suggested that jump towers could also be added to an expanded Firing Range, so that players could get their flight and landing patterns perfected too. As noted, changes to the practice arena are seemingly in the works, but they probably don’t go as far as some fans would clearly like. Some suggestions do, ultimately, make sense to have but as Respawn have said before, there is a limit on things because of the stress too much content puts on the servers – which is why we don’t have killcams.

  • Simple Apex Legends tip reduces recoil with any weapon – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends tip reduces recoil with any weapon Respawn/EAThere’s a simple but effective Apex Legends trick that will reduce the impact of recoil, regardless of what weapon you’re using. The developers on Apex Legends are always switching up the meta with new weapons, Legends, and balancing changes, but the basic fundamentals of the gameplay have remained true throughout. As a result, players are constantly finding tricks, new and old, that help them get a leg up on their opponents in the Apex Games, be it the best way to use a legend, a clever map rotation, or when to use certain weapons. Even for long-time players, mastering the weapons can be quite difficult, especially when you pull out something like the R-99, which has some wild recoil. Well, while players have found neat little tricks in the past to train themselves on the different recoil patterns, there is one technique that even the most casual of Apex player can use. As demonstrated by YouTuber chiknnuggey, this technique is very simple. All you need to do is strafe while shooting. Combine this with your usual technique of controlling the recoil with your mouse or controller, and you’ll notice an immediate difference. Pulling down on a mouse, or controller thumbstick, will counteract vertical recoil. But, when you add strafing into the mix, you counteract the horizontal recoil too. Thus, your shots will be hitting whatever target you center on pretty consistently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhL2PsbFmhE Newer players often fall in to the trap of standing still to help manage recoil, but top-level players are constantly moving in Apex. This is very different to competitive shooters, like CS:GO or Valorant, where movement will firing will seriously impact your accuracy. By strafing, you also make yourself a little harder to hit as well, which is a positive. You’ll just need to spend some time in Firing Range and training mode, shooting at the dummies and targets to get it all down pat. Once you do, you’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

  • Simple Apex Legends tip makes grenades deadlier than ever – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends tip makes grenades deadlier than ever Respawn EntertainmentEagle-eyed Apex Legends players have realized that a grenade’s small reticle can indicate how deadly it will be, letting the thrower know whether it will be accurate ahead of release. A major component to any battle royale is its weapon and equipment pool – the guns and utility available to all players to complement different play-styles and Legends. Grenades are not as powerful as they could be in Apex Legends but, alongside other projectiles like Arc Stars or Thermites, they can be a useful supplement to any offensive or defensive barrage. There are a number of tactics players can use to maximize their efficiency with throwables, but this one has emerged fairly recently – mainly because of how difficult it is to notice. The Redditor – OGNatan – asked: “How long has this been a thing? I’ve never noticed the grenade reticle changing color when in range for a direct hit. Niche usage, but could be helpful for guaranteeing sticks, etc.” Attached to the post was a video showing a player in Apex Legends’ firing range lining up a grenade. Upon the grenade being perfectly aimed to land directly on the opponent, the white reticle turns to gold. Naturally, the resulting throw is a direct hit – taking 10 HP off the opponent as well as guaranteeing an accurate explosion. Although it is a pretty basic tip, many Apex Legends players won’t have even realized the small change to the reticle that comes when it is lined up perfectly. As the Redditor pointed out it has fairly niche usage, but there are a number of scenarios in which it could help players. If sneaking up behind enemies, a player could guarantee a direct hit and stick, making it a 3v2 from the outset. We’ll be sure to use it when we drop into Storm Point from now on.

  • Handy Apex Legends tip makes finding Rampart’s ultimate much easier – Dexerto

Handy Apex Legends tip makes finding Rampart’s ultimate much easier Respawn/EAEver been caught out by a Rampart ultimate while rotating to the next safe zone? Well, there’s a simple tip that every Apex Legends player should know about being able to spot it on the map. With the start of Season 6, Rampart was finally added to Apex Legends’ ever-growing roster of characters – adding some unique abilities to the battle royale. The defensive legend has a passive that increases magazine size by 15% and decreases reload time by 25%, a tactical in Amped Cover that lets her through down a small wall and shoot through it to give her weapons a small boost. However, it’s her ultimate – the mini-gun she calls Sheila – that really packs a punch. The deployable mini-gun can rip through enemies who step into its crosshairs, but if you don’t want to get caught, there’s a simple tip to keep in your back pocket. How to find active Rampart ultimates in Apex Legends Whenever a Sheila is placed throughout a match – be it on World’s Edge or Kings Canyon – a small icon will appear on your map that indicates where it is. It’s only small, yes, but you can see the outline of a white minigun – as Reddit user Ornography points out. That means that you can plot its position on the map and find a way to either avoid its line of fire or head there and see if there is a team to take down. There’s no way of telling if a team is still in the area of the minigun, so you will just have to chance it. But knowing where Sheila has been placed should help make few decisions a little easier for you. In case you didn’t know: Sheila actually shows up on the mini-map – make sure to look for them in the late game. #ApexLegends (image via u/Ornography) pic.twitter.com/WxUwh7s9sT — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) August 29, 2020 Obviously it’s not a tip that will guarantee you wins, but it’s better off being able to know if a Rampart is waiting for you at a chokepoint than going in blind. Respawn could tweak the way it works moving forward – saying removing the icon from the map after a set period of time – but as of now, that’s not the case.

  • Simple Apex Legends tip lets Wraith’s Portal block enemy escape routes – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends tip lets Wraith’s Portal block enemy escape routes Respawn/EA[jwplayer WxboviTo] Apex Legends players have got a simple tip that could ruin an enemy’s game if they get too greedy and try to chase Wraith and her teammates through a portal. As Wraith has cemented herself as the most popular legend in Apex Legends, fans of the free-to-play battle royale have been one-upping each other with the best ways to play as the Interdimensional Skirmisher. We’ve seen players dart around World’s Edge and Kings Canyon and lighting up the kill feed with insane elimination totals as well as taking a slower approach, but one constant remains – her portal. Players have used the portal to slow enemies down, but now, they’ve got another helpful use for it – forcing the foes to enter a chokehold that they can’t really escape. The simple trick comes courtesy of Reddit user reeterdee, showing that if you place a Wraith portal entrance in a doorway, the enemies have to use it if they want to get to you. That means that you can then place the exit in a spot that is convenient for you. This could be looking at a random corner in a room or on another doorway so that if they try to flank, the opponents still end up in your clutches. As the Redditor shows, as enemies try to dart through, they might be slightly baffled and not ready for a fight. This leads to easy eliminations, and in their case, a pretty stellar victory. Of course, as you climb through the ranks of Apex Legends, you’ll come up against players who have their own tricks that they use to catch you out. So, they might be fully aware of whats going on with the portal by the door. If they’re not, and you’re in lower level games, it could be pretty easy to use the tip to your advantage on your way to becoming Apex Champion.

  • Simple Apex Legends tip gives Horizon OP movement and height – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends tip gives Horizon OP movement and height Respawn/EAHorizon can already soar to new heights thanks to her powerful Gravity Lift tactical ability, but if you combine it with Octane’s jump pad, she gets some nifty movement abilities. [jwplayer GCL7xjyu] There are plenty of factors that go into an Apex Legends win – and it all starts with picking the right characters. The selection can depend on how you want to play the game, but you can just follow the meta and use the most powerful legends, too. Some legends, ultimately, work better when paired with others because their abilities can be combined to deal a whole boatload of damage in a fight, or, if you’re one for hanging back, you can find where the next safe zones are going to be. In the case of Horizon, who only joined the game in Season 7, she fits well with most legends, but if you pair her with Octane, she can really soar to new heights – quite literally. Just like with Loba in Season 6, Horizon has a tactical ability that is perfect to pair with Octane. Unlike Loba, you don’t want to throw her Gravity Lift directly onto the Jump Pad, but rather, nearby. As Reddit user methylin1337 pointed out, by doing so, you can then launch yourself off the Jump Pad and into the path of the Gravity Lift. This when they send you soaring to heights that, previously, you couldn’t reach with Horizon. On top of the bonus height – which makes Horizon difficult to hit – she can also use her soft landing and Octane’s double jump to make incredible leaps. If you can master it, you can really bamboozle enemies. Of course, not everyone is going to have the movement skills needed to really make the pair worthwhile, but if you do, it can be an incredible duo. It’s worth trying out at the very least, just to see what results you come out with if anything. It could be perfect for your team, and you don’t even know it.

  • Simple Apex Legends shield change would be a perfect counter for Bloodhound scans – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends shield change would be a perfect counter for Bloodhound scans Respawn/EASome Apex Legends players have got a simple idea for a new item that would be the perfect counter for Bloodhound, but others are pretty skeptical about balancing. Ever since Apex Legends launched over two years ago, fans of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale have been offering up ideas for changes, new legends, cosmetics, and more. The majority of these suggestions center on reworks, buffs, and sometimes nerfs for the existing cast of characters, especially when one is perceived to be a bit too overpowered versus the rest. However, this time around, players have come up with an idea of an idea that would be aimed at countering Bloodhound and Thermal Scopes during matches. The idea comes from Reddit user TimV55, who suggested that Respawn could add a piece of equipment where, if you had it in your inventory, you could not be scanned by Bloodhound or show up on thermal. It sounds, and works, just like the Cold Blooded perk in Call of Duty, but with this being Apex, it couldn’t last forever. As the Redditor suggests, you could even equip it and then get a few uses out of it. Say you’re in range of one Bloodhound scan, that damages the item and takes a use away, sort of like the Heat Shield that was added recently to combat the ring. Of course, it would have to be balanced, and that’s where some less than supportive players voiced their concerns. “There would need to be some balance as to not render Bloodhound absolutely useless,” said one. “Maybe its reduces the scan time but an outright block is unfair. I also think the same about Bangalore being countered by a literal gun sight,” added another. At the end of the day, changes are made by Respawn and Respawn alone, but it could be interesting for a limited-time mode later down the road. The developers have said before that they can’t out and out just take ideas from fans, they have to put their own spin on things, but maybe they’ll consider it.

  • Simple Apex Legends Rampart trick makes Sheila minigun even deadlier – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Rampart trick makes Sheila minigun even deadlier EAAn Apex Legends player has gone semi-viral after showing off a unique way to utilize Rampart’s minigun Sheila while being able to travel around the battle royale’s many maps. Although Apex has been out for years now, dedicated players of the Respawn shooter are constantly discovering new useful tricks in the battle royale. One player, for example, discovered a sneaky trick for the map Worlds Edge to obtain free kills. Now, another Apex player has uncovered a new way to notch easy kills using Rampart’s ultimate, Sheila. Rampart trick lets players mow enemies over with Sheila Reddit user StaphAttack posted to the Apex Legends subreddit a clip of how they avoided the recoil penalty while firing off Sheila. Riding on a Trident, the Rampart player was able to unload rounds out of the vehicle while Sheila was mounted on the back, turning the minigun into a mobile death machine. Staph was stunned by their pin-point accuracy and was able to down two opponents with the minigun in the clip. Users in the comment section enjoyed the trick and were also shocked by the discovery. One said, “You’re playing Halo 2 and they’re playing Apex.” In the comment section, Staph explained exactly how the trick works: “As Shiela fires the spread gets tighter and tighter. If you mount Sheila on the trident the spread doesn’t reduce the full amount and just sprays.” The next time you’re playing on Olympus or Storm Point, gun for the Trident and enjoy your easy dub.

  • Simple Apex Legends Rampart buff would make her best crafter in the Outlands – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Rampart buff would make her best crafter in the Outlands Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has got a simple, yet genius, buff idea for Rampart that gives her more options when using Replicators in the Outlands. Prior to her arrival in Season 6, many Apex Legends fans had concerns about Rampart and her abilities. A mounted turret and placable walls didn’t quite fit in with the other characters. While she was popular at one point, Rampart has slipped down the rankings and isn’t all that great of a legend to use. In fact, we’ve got her in the C tier of our tier list. As a result, players have been coming up with ideas for ways to give her a buff moving forward, and one idea might actually be worthwhile, given it plays into her crafting backstory. The simple, but clever, idea comes from Reddit user MrIceyIce, who proposes that Rampart’s passive be tweaked so that she has more options at Replicators. Read More: Apex Legends ‘War Games’ event leaked – Currently, Rampart’s passive gives her bigger LMG magazines and reload times, but with this idea, she’d be able to access a separate menu on a Replicator. These options would be different than the Replicator rotations that everyone else has to abide by, and it makes sense given she’s a crafter. Of course, it’d have to be balanced. Maybe these options are a little bit more expensive than the others, but either way, it seems to be popular with other players.

  • Simple Apex Legends pings would save players from noisy teammates – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends pings would save players from noisy teammates Respawn EntertainmentThe ping system in Apex Legends is an extensive communication tool that has incredibly helpful messages that can be relayed to a squad – but a few options to settle down obnoxious teammates could also be immensely valuable to have. Players that have to contend with the occasional random teammate can see how easily communication breaks down, or be non-existent to begin with. There are also times you get queued up with someone who is blatantly trolling or incredibly tilted. It’s because of this that Apex community members came up with concepts for new ping options that can help you tame a problematic player. “Dear Respawn, please add this feature to the game,” user ‘starhunter117’ said. “I’m tired of teammates revealing my spot when we need to be quiet.” The ‘Don’t Shoot’ ping symbol depicts a single standing bullet with a slash through it. The idea could be used to tell a loud teammate who’s either running around or thinking of taking a +100m shot that it might not be time to engage. Too many times has a good flank or a third-party opportunity gone wrong because a player got too antsy exactly when they shouldn’t have. This ping could help put those concerns to bed, since it’ll be a quiet and reliable way to tell the team to hold their triggers until the right moment. However, sometimes the ping system can turn against a team if a tilted or trolling player takes advantage of it. That’s why user ‘moodyggg’ thought up to incorporate an option that pops up in case a player takes pings too far. “I had this idea after getting Banner spammed 10 times per second from a random,” they explained. “I got tilted and I couldn’t afford to hit pause and mute.” The concept makes a pop up ‘Mute Teammate’ button appear that lets you disable the notifications from someone who “pings banner/beacon more than 5 times in a row.” Apex Legends already has an intricate communication system, but the two concepts can act as sort of fail-safes for those bothersome teammates you meet in matchmaking.

  • Simple Apex Legends map change idea would be perfect for final circles – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends map change idea would be perfect for final circles Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has suggested a simple map change that would be a huge help to squads when attempting to navigate the final circle. The Apex Legends community is constantly attempting to help Respawn Entertainment improve the game by suggesting unique and interesting ideas on social media. Whether it’s brand new Warzone-style hop-ups or buff concepts to help make every single Legend viable in the meta, there’s never a day where players fail to come up with original and exciting ideas. Despite this, some of the best proposals are the simple quality of life changes that help improve some of the game’s fundamental features. Well, that’s exactly what PowerfulBobman’s map zoom concept aims to achieve, making it easier for squads to navigate the final circle. Simple zoom change to Apex Legends map A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit suggesting a change to the in-game map for Arenas and BR has garnered plenty of support. Currently, the map feature in Apex Legends is static and has to be manually zoomed in to fit the circle as it closes. During the final stages of a match, it can be incredibly dangerous to spend any time on the map screen as every squad is so densely packed together. Players want to be able to flick to their map and have a clear view of the final circle, allowing them to ping areas for their teammates to watch. So, PowerfulBobman has suggested that the developers make it so the map zooms in as the circles get smaller and smaller. This would be a particularly helpful addition to the Artillery Arenas map, where players are given the full view of Kings Canyon by default. In the fast-paced environment of Arenas and the final few circles in BR, squads will often not have time to re-arrange their map. Despite being an extremely simple change, this could be a difference-maker for players when attempting to ping and communicate with their squad. Fingers crossed Respawn recognizes the thread and opts to implement this feature in a future update.

  • Simple Apex Legends looting feature would change how teams share items – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends looting feature would change how teams share items Respawn EntertainmentCoordinating loot between teammates in Apex Legends could become near instantaneous with a simple addition to the UI while inspecting an item. When closely looking at loot, the player already gets a brief description of the gear along with what weapon it’s compatible with. But, a small upgrade would let people know if the item could also be helpful for their teammates. Squads dropping into the Apex Games know how chaotic it is to equip themselves with the best weapons and attachments to take into firefights that break out at a moment’s notice. After hectic battles die down, it’s not uncommon for people to end up with extra attachments or gear that doesn’t compliment the rest of their equipment – prompting them to instantly discard the seemingly useless items. To prevent that from happening, Reddit user ‘100721’ put together an idea that would notify someone if an item is “needed by teammate” as a safeguard to ensure everyone on a squad is properly looted. “I think there are some much less bothersome ways to add it,” the user said of their idea, noting it could have cleaner implementations. “But it would be nicer to have something like this than a teammate pinging every item he finds.” The Respawn devs gave Apex players three forms of communication in its extensive ping system, voice comms, and general text chat – neither of which are a perfect solution to stop confusion in regards to sharing loot. Other community members seemed to appreciate the idea as well, with some saying: “It’s these little adjustments that help in the long run, hope the devs implement them.” The concept could even extend to health and shield consumables that would clue the team in on who is running low on meds. Though the idea would put even more clutter on the screen than there already is, it would let players better manage the loot distribution that could make the difference between a quick death and an easy win. It’s small implementations like these that some players want to see in Apex Legends, but whether or not Respawn will respond by adding it remains to be seen.

  • Simple Apex Legends Loba buff idea would make her ultimate more useful – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Loba buff idea would make her ultimate more useful Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have got a pretty perfect buff idea for Loba that centers around her Black Market Boutique ultimate and being able to help teammates even more. Since being introduced during Apex Legends Season 5, Loba has become a mainstay in the battle royale thanks to her unique abilities. The Translocating Thief is able to get around the map easily thanks to her bracelet, and she can scoop up some serious loot without even needing to fight enemies thanks to both her passive and ultimate. While her Black Market Boutique ultimate is already pretty powerful, some players have got ideas about making the ability even better by being able to give teammates an even bigger helping hand than it already does. The concept was floated by Reddit user Lord_Despairagus, who suggested that Loba’s Ultimate should be on the same level as Crypto when it comes to grabbing teammate’s banners. That’s right, their idea is would allow Loba to drop her Black Market Boutique, and aside from grabbing ammo, weapons, and health kits, she could pick up a teammates banner – provided it close enough by, of course. Given that Loba and her teammates can only loot two items each through the Ultimate, it could become an interesting balancing act between grabbing a banner and hoping there’s a beacon nearby or ignoring the banner and keeping yourself alive with Syringes and Shield Cells. If the buff was in place, and luck was on your side, you could use your two loot picks to get a banner and a mobile respawn beacon, which would get your teammates back into the fight in the blink of an eye. Though, at the end of the day, Legend changes come from Respawn so they’d have to sign off on it. Given that they’ve said previously that they can’t exactly copy fan ideas, it’s unlucky we’ll see Loba with this buff anytime soon, but it would be pretty interesting.

  • Simple Apex Legends Lifeline trick makes saving teammates a breeze – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Lifeline trick makes saving teammates a breeze Respawn EntertainmentA simple Apex Legends trick makes saving downed teammates with Lifeline super simple. It’s so easy, you can even start using it in your very next game. Since day one Lifeline has been the best legend for keeping teammates alive and in the fight in Apex. Her healing drone and quick, shielded revives are a godsend to almost any team, but there’s another, lesser-known way she can keep allies safe. One of the worst parts of being downed in Apex is how slow your character crawls along the floor. However, a super simple trick lets Lifeline give squad mates a boost. Punch allies to safety with Lifeline The above clip from the Apex University subreddit shows exactly the trick we’re talking about. “I don’t know why I haven’t seen any other lifelines doing this,” user herman-342 said. “But, you can push your teammates in cover for a safe res.” All you need to do is line up with your ally in the direction you want them to go, and melee them while they’re downed. They should fly several feet in that direction, perfect for getting them into cover quickly for a safer rez. It’s a super simple technique that anyone should be able to implement right away to get off more revives than usual. Lifeline’s passive already provides a shield for downed teammates. However, it’s much more effective in cover than out in the open. If you’re a Lifeline main, or if she’s in your rotation of preferred legends, this is one trick that’s definitely worth adding to your arsenal.

  • Simple Apex Legends jump pad trick allows players to ride the giant Revelry balloons – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends jump pad trick allows players to ride the giant Revelry balloons Apex LegendsOctane is Apex Legends’ resident adrenaline junky and this simple jump pad trick will send him and his team right on top of the big Revelry character balloons in the sky. Anyone who has played Octane will know his role in Apex Legends. He’s all about speed and momentum, and his signature stim shot and jump pad combo allows him to move like no one else in the game. There have been a number of cool tricks with his jump pad but this one might be the most useful yet, as it can essentially render a squad safe from all of the action for a short time. Apex Legends jump pad tricks lets players ride the big balloons All this trick requires is a material canister to pull off. If Octane places his jump pad against one it causes anyone who hits the pad to super jump when launched into the sky. While it can be used simply as a form of travel, it’s most effective in Season 16 when a squad is near one of the floating Legend balloons around the map. As long as the pad is placed well, everyone on the team will be able to climb up on top of the balloons without incurring an out-of-bounds penalty. This is a big deal as it completely protects a squad from the fighting down below, and, unless they give themselves up, it’s unlikely that enemies will be looking over their heads to find people. This can also be done with an Ash ultimate in certain areas, but, outside of landing on a balloon while redeploying, there aren’t many other ways for teams to counter this strategy. This isn’t a guaranteed win though, so anyone going up there better prepare for the people watching them fall down when the Ring inevitably forces them to move.

  • Simple Apex legends idea would bring key Warzone attachments as hop-ups – Dexerto

Simple Apex legends idea would bring key Warzone attachments as hop-ups Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has come up with a clever idea to bring dual wield weapons to the battle royale, however, they’d start things off small. Ever since Apex Legends launched over two years ago, fans of Respawn Entertainment’s stellar battle royale have been trying to put their own mark on the game. Many fans have suggested new character ideas, reworks for the current legends, as well as new map layouts, and much more – with Respawn even giving their stamp of approval to a few ideas. More recently, some fans have been focusing on new hop-ups in a bid to shake up the loot pool and make some weapons even better than they currently are. The most recent idea comes in the form of a dual wield hop up from Apex Legends fan Gibon378. As anyone who has pretty much any other shooter game will know, dual wield allows you to shoot two of the same weapon at once. It’s become a staple of Apex’s rival – Call of Duty: Warzone – but unlike Warzone, the Redditor’s idea revolves around just the one gun, the P2020. The hop-up would take the place of the now-defunct Hammerpoint Rounds, giving the P2020 a boost in some scenarios. Though, it would also have its drawbacks. “It would have even higher dps than r99, so it would need slight nerf,” they added. With dual wield, you wouldn’t be able to aim down sight, so the hipfire accuracy of the pistol may have to be looked at. Some players suggested even ditching the hop-up idea and just making it a feature where, if you pick up two of the same weapon, you have dual wield. Though, many agreed it would be fun. “I think this could work on a brand new pistol that you couldn’t ADS with,” said one. “This would be oddly fun to use late game,” added another. Additionally, as some players pointed out, Respawn would likely have to go through some almighty balancing changes to make it work, never mind having to change things for legends like Octane who use their hand in their abilities. It remains to be seen if Respawn would ever try out the idea, but it’s certainly got some players interested.

  • Simple Apex Legends Horizon trick makes Gibraltar & Bangalore ultimates useless – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Horizon trick makes Gibraltar & Bangalore ultimates useless Respawn EntertainmentBunkering down away from a Gibraltar or Bangalore ult in Apex Legends? Why not rise above it? Well, that’s what players are doing now, with this simple Horizon trick making it easy to avoid getting hit by both artillery drops. Gibraltar and Bangalore’s ultimates in Apex Legends are some of the best in the game. They can lock down areas, raining hell from above and making it almost impossible to fight back through the damage and the stuns. You can shelter inside, or drop a Gibby bubble of your own, but what if you wanted to fight back? Well, that’s where Horizon comes in for this nifty trick. Reddit user ‘Jagaleksandr’ showed off the trick, and how it can save your team in a pinch. Just by throwing down your Tactical ability, Gravity Lift, you can rise above the airstrikes and avoid all damage. You won’t even get shell-shocked. After both Gibraltar and Bangalore’s ults finish, you can then drop back down to the ground. With a cheeky reposition, you can easily catch your enemies off-guard. There is one drawback against the Horizon ultimate trick though — you won’t be able to strafe while in the air against Gibraltar. If you do so, you might be caught by a stray rocket. This can make you a sitting duck in mid-air, but given the chaos thrown down, you should be able to get through scott-free. You might even be able to fire back, using the extra height to your advantage. The trick might not be the most effective in isolated situations, but in the chaos of a final circle, with multiple squads fighting, this simple trick could be the difference between being crowned champion, or seeing the “Game Over” screen. Horizon is already one of the best characters in Apex Legends, but this trick definitely separates her from the rest in late-game fights.

  • Simple Apex Legends Heat Shield tip is a late-game lifesaver – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Heat Shield tip is a late-game lifesaver Respawn EntertainmentThis Apex Legends Heat Shield trick can be an absolute blessing for Legends that are stuck on low ground and need a way out. Apex Legends is all about movement and survival and the Heat Shield is the primary Survival item in the game. It’s a crucial part of any player’s inventory, and it has myriad uses for a team that is stuck outside the ring. While it has been a popular addition to the game since its arrival in the Chaos Theory Collection Event in 2021, it still holds some secrets that the majority of the player base is only now understanding. Not only can it be thrown onto Vantage’s companion, Echo, for a mobile shield, but this trick allows players to get some verticality out of a stationary shield too. Apex Legends Heat Shield tip could save players from the ring This tip is simple. If a team is trapped on low ground, such as the lower part of a cave or the interior of a building, there is still hope for the heat shield to save them when it’s time to move. As seen in the video embedded below, one team was trapped under a bridge and desperately needed a Valkyrie ultimate to get into the ring and out of harm’s way. To the uninformed, it looked like a doomed situation, however, one player was prepared to take charge. They called for everyone to climb up and keep their feet just inside the small bit of the shield that was visible through the roof. Just this slight bit of contact was enough to protect them from the damage ticks, and they safely ferry themselves toward the next circle. Valkyrie isn’t the only Legend who can benefit from this though. A Horizon lift or an Octane pad could also be thrown from this position to soar higher or to fly forward, opening up a bevy of options for a squad to reposition. Caution still needs to be applied though, as standing out in the open like this opens a squad up to be picked off by any enemies that might be lurking and watching for the Heat Shield to expire.

  • Simple Apex Legends guide shows common mistakes & how to avoid them – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends guide shows common mistakes & how to avoid them Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer UQowmNq2]There’s a lot that can go wrong in a given match of Apex Legends, but there’s a whole subset of common mistakes that lower Ranked players will often commit. Seeing these typical pitfalls in strategy and recognizing them in your game is the first step to cleaning up your tactics that can easily lead to deeper runs. The Apex Games can be unforgiving, luckily user ‘Jagaleksandr’ has some tips that can help manage the chaos. In their tutorial, some of the biggest makes people are making doesn’t deal with aim or knowing the best use of Legends; instead, it has to do with basic decision-making all players should familiarize themselves with. For example, their first suggestion has to do with punching. Using the melee option is great fun to take down an opponent who is also trying to put the mitts on for a rumble. But as soon as the other player picks up a gun: “Even if it’s a Mozambique, please, don’t start punching.” There’s no shame at this point to stop what you’re doing and just run to avoid bringing a knife to a gunfight. Similarly, if a Respawn Beacon dropped you off in the middle of a battle or you’re panicking from everything going on around you, just regroup! As Jagaleksandr put it, “if you’re not sure what’s happening, retreat, regroup, heal and come back.” This theme of team cohesion is repeated throughout the video, seeing as there are too many kills given away when the Arena starts to heat up. That problem leads into other blunders like ‘blind pushes,’ something that they say is a “very common mistake in the end game where people think they are gods because they got some kills.” Pushing into a fight without any information, any back up, or any kind of contingency plan gives you a low chance of a favorable bout. There are tons of things that Jagaleksandr points out for people to improve on, and not many are hard to actually get better at, since it’s all in the players’ control.

  • Simple Apex Legends Crypto trick lets him heal and charge with drone – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Crypto trick lets him heal and charge with drone Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered that Crypto can heal and recharge shields while controlling his drone at the same time. Finding the time to heal and charge your shields during an Apex match can be a challenge, but a new trick lets Crypto players multitask with his drone while doing so. The best part is, it’s not a difficult move to pull off at all, and can be easily added to your in-game routine. How to heal and charge shields while using Crypto’s drone A clip posted to Reddit on May 23 shows exactly how to pull off this Crypto maneuver, which players are already praising as brilliantly clever. First, Crypto has to throw out his drone. Then, the small window of time between when the drone is deployed and when it activates is when you start healing, charging shields, or using an ultimate accelerant. The trick actually works extremely well, since while controlling the drone the charge or healing will continue automatically. Additionally, you can use the drone’s EMP at the same time. While it’s definitely a useful move, some Crypto players weren’t thrilled with it being shared, given the possibility for Respawn to patch it out. For now though, this strat is still completely viable in Apex. So, if you do want to give Crypto a try, don’t forget to multitask while your scouting with the drone.

  • Simple Apex Legends counter makes Fuse’s Ultimate far less deadly – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends counter makes Fuse’s Ultimate far less deadly Respawn/EAApex Legends players have found they can out heal Fuse’s ultimate while standing in the ring of fire if you have a Phoenix Kit and a Battery Shield on hand. Apex Legends is full of sneaky tips and tricks that can help players improve their skills tenfold. From the crazy “punch boosting” movement mechanic that can help you escape from opponents in a quick fashion to being able to cancel the movement nerf while using a Thermite grenade – there’s a lot for new players to learn. Now, Apex players have found they can out heal Fuse’s ultimate while standing in the ring of fire. While it’s not necessarily a trick that’ll win you your next game, it’s useful to know. Apex Legends player Quokkain pointed out in Reddit thread on January 2 that, if you’ve got a Phoenix Kit and Battery Shield, you can out heal Fuse’s ultimate while standing in the ring of fire. While the main objective of his Ultimate isn’t exactly to kill your enemies, the fire and burn that comes with it lasts 17 seconds and can take a good chunk of health off them. Along with enemies being revealed while being inside the ring, Fuse’s ultimate can be pretty useful – and the burn makes it a whole lot easier to take them down. However, as pointed out by numerous other players, it’s unlikely that you’d get the opportunity to do this in a public match. “Somebody is going to shoot you before you can even get the Phoenix Kit off,” said one player. “In an actual game, the huge slow and wall-hack the Fuse ult applies are brutal enough,” said Zalarien, who continued by assuring the damage isn’t a priority: “The damage is the least of the concern.” While players claim you wouldn’t be able to pull this off in a public match, it can still be useful to know given you’re put in a situation where you could do it.

  • Simple Apex Legends change would save Wattson’s “ugly” heirloom – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends change would save Wattson’s “ugly” heirloom Respawn Entertainment / id SoftwareApex Legends players want to give Wattson’s Energy Reader a change that would save it from being the “ugliest” heirloom to the best skin in the game by incorporating classic FPS, Doom. Wattson mains have been waiting since Season 2 for the Static Defender to finally get a special heirloom set for herself. Their wish finally came true during Season 11’s Raiders Collection Event but it wasn’t what they hoped for. The Apex community has been retooling the Wattson skin in a way that they think would be a marked improvement on the official release. A general concept idea by user ‘mokeysniper’ would take out the Nessie Tamagotchi in the heirloom and replace it with the id Software’s Doom. Doom on Wattson’s heirloom The obscurity of Wattson’s melee device and community sentiment to update it in a way led the popular Apex YouTuber to whip up a concept that was equally amusing as it is peculiar. “Is that… is she playing freaking Doom on her Heirloom,” they quipped. More Apex players joined the conversation and agreed that a left-field add-on like this would be fun. “Best way to pass the time when you can’t find people in pubs,” another player joked. “Play a game on your heirloom! Would make it more worthwhile [not going to lie].” Read more: What is tap strafing in Apex Legends? – Of course, licensing issues would strain any attempt by Respawn to integrate Doom into Apex but it’s a charming idea to revel in. Can Wattson’s heirloom run Doom? We’ve seen Doom played on everything from a refrigerator to attempts on pregnancy tests so it should be possible for a brilliant engineer like Wattson to run it on her Energy Reader. The idea of putting the 1993 hit title on her heirloom follows an internet tradition of trying to play Doom on every device possible. While it’s not likely that Respawn would move on an idea like this, we can imagine a dedicated Apex Legends fan recreating Wattson’s heirloom just to upload a fully-playable version of the game on it.

  • Simple Apex Legends change would make Caustic a teamfighting menace – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends change would make Caustic a teamfighting menace Respawn EntertainmentA simple Caustic change could completely revolutionize the big guy’s teamfighting ability and maybe even elevate him to the top of the Apex Legends meta. Caustic is one of the most iconic Legends in the game. His poison-based kit has always made him stand out from the rest of the roster, but it has also largely limited him to being a defensive machine that excels on taking his fights away from his team. While that might have been enough in the early days of Apex, some fans think the game has changed too much for this to be viable and are calling for a small change that would do wonders for his ability to play near his team. Simple Caustic update would revolutionize his potential It has always been tricky for Caustic’s teammates to fight around his barrels. There’s no obvious way to tell if a specific trap id friendly or not without pinging it, which can be a real pain when trying to survive a hectic situation. This proposed fix would make it vastly easier to navigate a teamfight by clearly marking friendly barrels with a blue strip while allowing enemy Nox Gas to hold onto the menacing red shade that they’ve had since the Toxic Trapper arrived in the Apex Games. While it might not seem like a huge change, giving a team peace of mind to push in and out of gas that doesn’t hurt them in any way other clouding their vision could completely shake up the pace of any individual combat. As it stands now, many players will avoid going near a barrel at all or will mistakenly shoot at friendly barrels to set them off prematurely, which not only weakens the team’s defenses but also wastes time and reduces a the friendly scientist’s impact on the game as a whole. Being able to safely combine abilities like Ash’s ultimate or a Wraith portal with the gas would give everyone more freedom to make aggressive plays and use the smoke to their advantage without worrying about whether they’re rushing into their demise, meaning Caustic’s pickrate would likely climb as a result.

  • Weird Apex Legends bug completely removes Wraith’s cooldown – Dexerto

Weird Apex Legends bug completely removes Wraith’s cooldown Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a useful Wraith and Ash combo that turns the Voidwalker’s tactical ability into the most effective escape tool in the entirety of the game. Wraith and Ash have been staples of the scene in Season 11 of Apex Legends. The two portal-opening ladies have worked in tandem to create aggressive team compositions that can out position you and keep you guessing on where the fight is coming from at all times. While they’ve been successful on an individual level as well, the two have achieved great results in tandem, and this bug is a big reason as to why they’re such a popular choice together this season. Apex Legends player shows off Wraith and Ash combo bug The bug in question occurs when using Wraith’s tactical ability Into the Void. When this ability is active, Wraith slips into another dimension and can briefly move around the map without risk of taking damage. This is a handy escape tool, but it only lasts for a few seconds before going on to a 25-second cooldown. However, if you take an Ash portal while still inside the tactical, the ability refreshes and is available to use again right away. One user noted that this problem isn’t exclusive to Ash portals either: “It is the same with wraith portal. If you q and it is about to end go in a portal and when you reach the other side you will have it back.” In response to this clip, Respawn’s Live Technical Director Exgeniar took the time to apologize for the issue, saying sorry and adding: “bugs are meant to be fixed.” With Wraith’s popularity soaring back up to the top in Season 11, this bug could have quite the impact on the game. However, if Exgeniar’s comments are anything to go by, they’ll be working to limit its impact.

  • Simple Apex Legends buffs that would make Mozambique a lot more viable – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends buffs that would make Mozambique a lot more viable Respawn EntertainmentThe Mozambique has long been one of the most downplayed weapons in Apex Legends, and if the Respawn devs were looking to make improvements, they could start at enhancing its clip and fire pattern. The three-pellet shot that comes out of the triple-barrel gun doesn’t quite add to the weapon’s effectiveness unless it’s being used in very specific scenarios at the start of a match, or when catching a person unawares. Even when a Legend manages to connect on the hits, the small damage output coupled with the even smaller clip size can quickly put players in a precarious situation if they don’t take someone down to loot their deathbox. It’s because of this fact that user ‘rwp80’ thought to change up the spray pattern from its triangular shape to a more tight-knit shot. “How to fix the Mozambique once and for all: change [the pointless pellets that always miss,]” rwp80 said before going on to explain their concept, showing one pellet going to the head and two near each other toward the body. “To this: Makes the Mozambique viable at close/medium range without being overpowered.” The upgrade would be more aligned to a given Legends’ character model. Though the spray can be considerably tightened while aiming down the sights, rwp80’s design makes it more likely to hit a target. However, the suggested improvement would only go as far as the magazine’s size. They recommend fixing the size of the clip to let players dish out more damage per reload. Without changing the amount of pain a pellet gives, this would let players deal a max of 225 hit points per magazine, as opposed to what it is now at 145, if every 15-damage pellet landed. It should be noted that the present Mozambique’s damage profile completely changes after adding Hammerpoint Rounds to the gun. Instead of a pea-shooter, the ‘Mozambeast’ starts to hurt, though it can still be tricky to actually land a shot. People have been loving the balance changes in Apex Legends that have contributed to Season 5’s success. If the devs wanted to complete the fan-service sweepstakes, then they could start by tweaking one of the most memed-on weapons in the game’s history.

  • Simple Apex Legends buff would improve Bangalore’s ultimate ability – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends buff would improve Bangalore’s ultimate ability Respawn EntertainmentA quick update to Bangalore’s ultimate in Apex Legends would improve the quality of life for Rolling Thunder while letting teams efficiently strategize around the ability. When calling down the ordinance, missiles reign down from the sky in a rough square formation. While the blasts aren’t entirely deadly on their own, they apply a concussive slow to players and disorient anyone caught out during the storm. Since it’s not necessarily an easy way to apply a lot of damage, Rolling Thunder is typically used to clear a path for a rotation/attack or use as a barrier in case a team needs a quick escape from a sticky situation. Thinking of a small way to improve the ultimate, Reddit user ‘NeroIceblood’ thought to add an area of impact indicator to her map before calling down the thunder. “Little Bangalore Buff Idea, maybe Gibby too, [that shows] the area of impact for her Ultimate when she has the throwable in her hand,” they said, showing an image of a blue square on the minimap. This would give players and teams a visual representation of the ultimate’s reach, which would make it much easier to coordinate or plan around Having a chance to play around the missiles could open Bangalore’s potential for setting up flanks, pinches, or picks. Though a well-coordinated team in Apex can still pull off the same type of use from her, it would be much more streamlined with a small indicator. “Why not go all the way and show the area of effect on the map for every tactical and ultimate, like in Valorant?” user ‘weakhead’ suggested, as the concept could easily be applied to other Legends for instant improvements. “Seeing on the map where your bracelet will land as Loba would be neat.” A change like that would let players confidently play around abilities, especially for the ones that are hard to distinguish as friend or foe, like Caustic’s gas traps. In either case, these kinds of small upgrades are meant to put that finishing polish in Apex Legends to make the battle royale that much more enjoyable to play.

  • Simple Apex Legends buff idea would make Bangalore the perfect breacher – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends buff idea would make Bangalore the perfect breacher Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends player has suggested some clever changes to Bangalore’s tactical ability, Smoke Launcher, that could massively improve the Professional Soldier’s kit. Bangalore was one of the original characters added to Apex Legends but has often flown under the radar compared to Legends like Wraith, Pathfinder, Lifeline and others in previous seasons. While she is still a viable character in Season 6, Apex players have been calling on Respawn to improve her kit for a long time, to give Bangalore a small boost and help her keep up with the current fan-favorites. Bangalore is known for her offensive playstyle in Apex Legends, with abilities that are tailored towards high damage and aggression. However, there are players that feel as if her abilities could do with simple improvements. One Apex player, u/NizzyDeniro, revealed a full list of changes that they would like to see for Bangalore, with a heavy focus on the character’s tactical ability; Smoke Launcher. Read More: How does Apex Legends crossplay beta work? – They suggested that the smoke canisters Bangalore launches could be improved so that they open or break any doors they collide with, to make her the “perfect breacher” to take over a building. The Apex fan explained that the change would give “Bangalore a breaching meta no other Legend has,” to help her stand out as in the Character Select phase. While this would not be a massive change to Bangalore, NizzyDeniro also shared a complete rework of the tactical ability. It would allow her to alternate between smoke and flash grenades, to temporarily impair the vision of enemies affected. “By using the utility button, Bangalore can switch canisters from smoke to flash.” they explained. “Flash canisters cannot be launched as far as smoke canisters, only about 40 meters.” These changes would make Bangalore much more effective for breaching into a room and she would be particularly useful as a counter against campers, who look to catch their opponents funneling through doorways unaware. While it could be difficult finding ways to balance Bangalore’s tactical rework idea, it seems to have picked up a lot of support online, with plenty of Apex fans hoping to see similar changes in the future.

  • Simple Apex Legends badge concept could solve early quitting problem – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends badge concept could solve early quitting problem An Apex Legends fan has created a simple badge concept that would reward players for not leaving games early. Ever since launching their battle royale back in February, Respawn Entertainment have rolled out plenty of content for Apex Legends. Be it skins, new legends, a new map, or the long-awaited modes like ranked, the developers have ticked off a lot of what fans have asked for. Despite that, though, fans are still clamoring for more and regularly come up with their own ways to fix things or add in new ideas. Be it being able to vote between the game’s two maps, or an idea for a nerf, creative fans have thought of nearly everything. However, a new idea could be one of the best yet and solve the game’s problem with early quitters. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user F1FO showcased their genius idea for a new badge that would be given out to players who don’t quit games early. Modeled after an escape key on a keyboard, the Redditor’s badge would be obtainable at three levels – complete grey ESC key, slightly green ESC key, and a full green ESC key. The starter level would require players to quit less than 3% of the time, while the other two would show how dedicated a player was – reaching a less than 1% level. While the badge is designed to promote fighting on till the end and not leaving early, F1FO noted that it wouldn’t be about shaming quitters, but praising the determined players. Having something in your inventory that shows off how dedicated you are to the game is obviously a noble stamp, but it may also give some confidence to players who play in random lobbies and suffer with constant deserters. Being penalized for random teammates leaving early has been a sore point for plenty of players in season three and they’ll be hoping something is done about it by the time season four rolls around.

  • Simple Apex Legends Arenas Recon buff idea gets Respawn’s seal of approval – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends Arenas Recon buff idea gets Respawn’s seal of approval Respawn/EAA simple idea to give Recon legends a buff in Apex Legends Arenas mode has caught the eye of Respawn, but could it actually be implemented? With the start of Season 9: Legacy, Respawn Entertainment brought the previously leaked Arenas mode to Apex Legends. The 3v3, round-based mode has proven to be popular with players already, and a meta that is different to the normal battle royale mode has started to shake out. As a result, players have started suggesting different changes that could be made, especially when it comes to giving different legends a buff. Well, one idea aimed at improving the Recon class of legends has caught the attention of Respawn themelseves. The simple, but clever, idea comes from Apex Legends fan kdwardse, who suggested that every Recon legend – Bloodhound, Crypto, Pathfinder, and Valkyrie – should be able to see the first ring movement in arenas. It would work similar to the survey beacons that are in-game now, but you wouldn’t need to activate them. Instead, as soon as the game starts, you’d have the first ring rotation show on your team’s mini-map. While the idea didn’t go over too well with every responder, Respawn’s Daniel Klein is a fan. “This is a cool idea! I’ll bring it up to the Arenas team and see what they think,” he said. “Also kudos for super clean presentation of a pitch!” Some players suggested that the change would have to be much bigger, given that the ring rotations aren’t hard to learn, and there aren’t too many games that last much longer than the first ring anyway. With Respawn perhaps giving it a look, something might come of it with some fine-tuning, but we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Shroud’s Top 10 best moments in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud’s Top 10 best moments in Apex Legends Apex Legends has only been out for a couple of weeks, but former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has already cemented his place as one of the best Apex Legends players in the world. Apex Legends officially released on Monday, February 4 and has already captured the imagination of the gaming community, racking up 25 million total players in its first week on the market. Since his retirement from CS:GO, shroud has become well-known for his incredible skills at battle royale titles such as Blackout and PUBG, and it seems that Apex Legends is just the next in a long list of games that Grzesiek is exceptional in. Apex Legends has become a massive success. While shroud has amazing aim from his days as a professional gamer, what sets the former Cloud9 star apart from his enemies are his incredible instincts, with the streamer regularly out-thinking his opponents to secure victories on the game. Though trying to pick out what shroud’s best moment is in Apex Legends is extremely difficult, YouTube channel Battle Royale Central has put together what they believe to be some of the best plays from Grzesiek’s time on the title. While there are many amazing moments to choose from, only one could be ranked as Central’s top play, with an incredible clip that shows the streamer take out 5 players to secure a victory for his team when he was the last man standing for his squad. Organizations are already starting to pick up some of the best Apex Legends players with an eye on a potential esports scene, but it seems unlikely that shroud would step away from full time streaming to take a position on a team. Still, there’s no doubt that Grzesiek is one of the most talented players in the world, regardless of whether he chooses to venture into competitive Apex Legends.

  • Shroud wants one simple feature added to Apex Legends in Season 4 – Dexerto

Shroud wants one simple feature added to Apex Legends in Season 4 Shroud (Mixer)/EAMixer megastar Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed the one key feature he thinks Apex Legends Season 4 needs to improve player experience. Apex Legends’ fourth season is in full swing. With big changes to World’s Edge and Revenant’s blockbuster debut, players are flocking into EA’s servers to sample what Respawn have cooked up. Assimilation has piqued the interest of shroud, who’s had a turbulent relationship with Apex Legends during its one-year tenure in the battle royale realm. It seems that 25-year-old falls in and out of love with Respawn’s flagship title on a regular basis. But with Assimilation’s gripping narrative, shroud is trying the game out once again. Grzesiek has been grinding the Apex Games’ ranked playlist on his Mixer channel during the opening days of Season 4. This has led to a very simple but shrewd observation from shroud. Sending a Tweet aimed at the official Apex Legends account, he said: “Listen here @PlayApex. Add a reconnect feature. That is all. Thank you.” listen here @PlayApex ADD A RECONNECT FEATURE. THAT IS ALL. THANK YOU > — Michael Grzesiek (@shroud) February 8, 2020 Respawn already said no to reconnects Mid-game crashes and disconnects are one of the most prominent issues plaguing Apex Legends players, especially on PC. While on the surface, adding the feature seems like a no-brainer, Respawn have previously acknowledged that it simply isn’t feasible in a Reddit post. Firstly, the developers believe that certain members of the player base would “abuse” the short-term fix. While in the same breath, Respawn believes that the effort implored into a feature such as this would be “better spent focused on fixing stability issues so that the feature isn’t necessary” in the first place. Yes, shroud’s case is strong — especially when you consider that stability issues still plague the game, some 11 months on from the aforementioned Reddit post. However, a reconnect feature has a plethora of implications. For example, when you reconnect, do you spawn with the same health/loot as when you disconnected? Until Respawn can crack the code, it is unlikely that shroud’s wish will come true.

  • Shroud wants major looting change in Apex Legends Season 4 – Dexerto

Shroud wants major looting change in Apex Legends Season 4 Shroud / Apex LegendsTop Mixer streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has been enjoying Apex Legends’ new lease of life since the launch of Season 4, but still has some improvements he’d like to see. Namely, he thinks the loot pool is a little too saturated, and some gold items too powerful. Season 4 so far has enjoyed an abundance of praise, with the new legend Revenant proving to be a hit, and anticipation for the return of Kings Canyon later in the season. However, back on World’s Edge, the current map, shroud thinks there are some tweaks needed to balance out the loot pool more. Gold items are, of course, the best-performing items, and supposedly the rarest, but are they becoming too common? The streamer was playing a regular public match of Apex before hopping into ranked mode, and it struck him that there was a seemingly endless supply of gold items. “Why is there so much gold stuff? I couldn’t tell you, this map has got a lot of loot,” shroud explained. “Actually, it’s got too much loot I think, I don’t think there should be as much gold shield as there is.” At the time, shroud and both of his teammates were rocking gold shields and gold backpacks and helmets. Admittedly, they were playing well and had eliminated a lot of squads, meaning they’d had plenty of death boxes to loot. Timestamp at 5:30 for mobile users. Gold Shields too strong? But shroud also went one step further, suggesting that gold shields, at least in their current state, shouldn’t even exist at all. “I don’t even think gold shield should exist, that fast heal sh*t is broken man,” he argued. Gold items, shield included, are meant to be the rarest of finds on the map. However, with all of the loot vaults, care packages, drop ships and designated high-level loot areas, it’s perhaps becoming less and less of a novelty to find these ‘rare’ items. Rather, it’s pretty common for a member of your squad to be kitted out in gold if you survive past the opening stages of a match. Whether the abundance of gold items is a deliberate move on Respawn Entertainment’s part or not, is unknown. As for gold shield itself, it did receive a significant buff, as its previous benefit (full refill after performing a finishing move) simply wasn’t that useful in practice. Fast heal used to be a benefit of the gold backpack, but was swapped to the shield instead. Perhaps now with this buff, Respawn may want to look into reducing the spawn rate of gold shields.

  • Shroud gives verdict on Apex Legends’ new Control mode for Season 12 – Dexerto

Shroud gives verdict on Apex Legends’ new Control mode for Season 12 Twitch: Shroud / RespawnMichael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek played the new Apex Legends Control mode coming in Season 12 ahead of schedule during a sponsored Twitch stream, and after a few rounds, gave his verdict. On February 1, Respawn announced a new limited-time mode in Apex Legends Season 12 called Control. It’s based on the historic arena shooter mode pitting two teams against each other to control points on the map — hence the name. Shroud was given the chance to check it out before it releases, and naturally he shared his thoughts while playing it and eventually gave a verdict — revealing some of its biggest pros and cons in the process. After jumping into the mode for the first time, Shroud expressed some concerns right out of the gate: “I feel like it’s a little big, you know? The map. For nine versus nine. Doesn’t this seem big?” He also admitted that it can be a little chaotic at times. “There are so many outlines of people. It’s kind of hard to tell where the hell your team is and where the enemy is. It’s kind of hard to tell what’s going on.” However, it grew on him the more he played. One thing he really loved was the fact that players keep respawning. In the end, his team won, and he finished at the top of the leaderboard with 23 kills. He reiterated his take on the mode, saying: “It’s kind of cool. I can see the boys having fun with this game mode. I can see it.” Still, that doesn’t mean he thinks it’s perfect. He pointed out that the nature of the mode can lead to problems. “It’s kind of OP if you own two points because you just keep respawning. It seems kind of busted.” Players will be able to dive into the action and test it for themselves once Apex Legends Season 12 launches on February 8.

  • Shroud uses Gibraltar perfectly to win insane 1v3 Apex Legends clutch – Dexerto

Shroud uses Gibraltar perfectly to win insane 1v3 Apex Legends clutch Shroud/RespawnCounter-Strike: Global Offensive professional regularly takes his incredibly-honed skills into a number of different titles and finds success on a regular basis. Be it Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty: Blackout, or Apex Legends, the Candian has conquered them all and left opponents wondering if he was running some sort of cheat while doing so. Yet, his most recent clutch, was down to his years of perfecting movements and knowing the perfect time to strike upon his foes. During his October 5 stream, shroud had been claiming victories in Apex Legends alongside longtime teammate Tyler ‘skadoodle’ Latham when he found himself staring down the barrel of a difficult 1v3 clutch. With his enemies closing in on him, shroud seemed resigned to his fate as he tried to get a quick shield battery boost off but dropped back behind Gibraltar’s shield inside of standing inside – putting distance between himself and his enemies. Upon realizing what he had done, the trio began pushing him in one-on-one fights, with shroud being able to take down the first two with a few shotgun shells, before falling behind the shield once again to create some space. With the clutch looking more likely by the second, shroud even took time to change his weapon during the frantic action to finish off the third player with one quick tap of the Longbow. “That dome was perfect! Oh my god,” he called out amid his post-game celebrations. “That’s got to be demoralizing to lose to a Gibraltar one vs three – they were all in my face too!” Gibraltar is generally an underappreciated Legend, due to his lack of mobility compared the characters like Pathfinder or Wraith. But, due to his larger size, Gibraltar actually has a slight damage reduction, meaning he can take extra hits before being put down. The incredible highlight clip might just serve as a warning though to any Apex player who thinks they can take down a ‘weaker’ character – you just never know who is on the sticks and controlling them.

  • Shroud thinks Apex Legends would be “more fun” if the abilities were stronger – Dexerto

Shroud thinks Apex Legends would be “more fun” if the abilities were stronger Respawn/Twitch/shroudLegendary Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek shared an extremely controversial take about how Respawn could make Apex Legends a better battle royale experience. Since its release, Apex Legends has captivated audiences by bringing hero shooter mechanics to the battle royale genre. This unique take has made it one of the most popular games on Twitch with an ever-growing fandom. However, for the former CS:GO pro, the abilities each Legend has are a bit too lackluster for his liking and would like the developers to spice things up in a big way. “Is it weird that playing this game makes me want to play Valorant?” he asked his chat while playing Apex. “I don’t know why. I don’t want to say similar, because it’s not, but I don’t know, the characters maybe?” Both Valorant and Apex Legends have quite the cast to pick from, but for shroud, only one of the two have characters he believes are impactful. “I feel like the characters in Valorant are more… I don’t know, you use them more,” he said when comparing the strength of individual abilities in Riot’s tactical FPS to Apex. “I feel like I’m actually playing a character when I play Valorant.” Shroud’s point about Agents in Valorant having more “character” than Legends in Apex is an interesting one. Agents definitely have a theme to them, as with Viper and how toxicity/poison is a big part of her kit. “In this game, I feel like I’m just playing with a little extra something,” he added, remarking how the Legends don’t feel different enough. “They didn’t want to make this game ‘ability Legends,’” shroud’s teammate replied, joking about the game’s title. However, it seemed to strike a chord with the Canadian as he had his own unique take on the matter. “I think they should, though!” he exclaimed. “I think it would be more fun.” The reaction to this comment in shroud’s chat was certainly mixed, with some fans agreeing and others calling it a horrible take. In any case, the two games remain some of the best titles to watch on Twitch, even if shroud thinks Apex could learn a thing from Valorant.

  • Shroud thinks Apex Legends will remove controversial ‘tap strafing’ trick – Dexerto

Shroud thinks Apex Legends will remove controversial ‘tap strafing’ trick Respawn EntertainmentPopular Twitch streamer and ex-CS:GO professional Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has suggested that the ‘tap strafing’ movement mechanic will be removed from Apex Legends by developers Respawn. Movement is important in any FPS title, with the way players traverse around the environment another part of the skill gap that separates good players and those less skilled. Apex Legends is no different, and has received considerable praise for its movement system, allowing players to slide down hills rapidly, or scale walls without issue. However, some unintended movement mechanics have also made their way into the battle royale, including one known as ‘tap strafing’. Tap strafing works on PC, by players wheeling round with mouse movements, and pairing this with a tap of the ‘W’ key. In response, your character, while off the ground and turning, will essentially wheel round much faster than normal, allowing you to stun enemies with your mobility. If players perfect the movement with the scroll wheel, they can perform rapid 180 turns. Read More: Who is Seer in Apex Legends? – After having the mechanic explained to him by IiTzTimmy, shroud was impressed, but didn’t hold out much hope for the mechanic’s longevity in Apex Legends, especially after being shown it can be done in mid-air, off one of Octane’s jump-pads. “Think about it this way,” shroud said. “B-hop while healing and sh*t got removed, this is definitely gonna get removed. It is really cool, I’ll take advantage of it. Dude it’s crazy… That will 100% get removed, for sure.” Topic starts at 0:20 Players sussing out the best way to use a game’s movement is not new, and pushing a game’s mechanics is the natural response of its best players. However, this mechanic appears to be completely accidental and not what the developers over at Respawn intended. We’re reminded of Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s ‘G-Slide’ exploit, which was promptly patched by the game’s devs thanks to its appearance at all levels of the game, even the pro scene. Respawn are yet to signal their intents over tap strafing but, given its prevalence and strength once it’s mastered, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was removed (or at least weakened significantly).

  • Shroud thinks Apex Legends’ success changed Respawn’s content plans – Dexerto

Shroud thinks Apex Legends’ success changed Respawn’s content plans Apex Legends is set to receive a content update soon and Shroud thinks there is an explanation for the timing. Apex has seen a rapid increase in popularity, far exceeding expectations on its way to becoming one of the biggest games in the world. Shroud thinks this unexpected growth is the reason for a delay in the promised content updates. “I think with Season 1, it was already supposed to be out,” started Shroud. “But I think they wanted to do better.” Respawn originally announced their plans for the future right after the game’s surprise launch on February 4, saying Apex’s first update will arrive in March. Here’s the roadmap for what’s coming to Apex Legends in 2019. pic.twitter.com/iOle3XTQoG — Apex Legends News (@TitanfallBlog) February 4, 2019 “I think the plan for Season 1 was real simple, it was just a Battle Pass and new characters, that was it,” explained Shroud. He continued, “ but the game took off and they didn’t expect it, so now people are expecting more.” Shroud’s timeline is a little off, Respawn already announced new loot and weapons to accompany the Battle Pass before Apex became popular. However, he could be right in that they took another look at their content after seeing the game take over Twitch. It hasn’t even been 4 weeks since we launched! The team is working hard, I promise — Vince Zampella (@VinceZampella) March 3, 2019 It remains to be seen if Respawn has adjusted the timeline of the Battle Pass launch, since they originally said March and the month is not over. Respawn CEO Vince Zampella did have a response for those losing patience on the Apex Legends content drop. “It hasn’t even been 4 weeks since we launched! The team is working hard, I promise,” said the game’s creator.

  • Shroud thinks Apex Legends hybrid mouse & controller meta is the future – Dexerto

Shroud thinks Apex Legends hybrid mouse & controller meta is the future Twitch: shroud / Respawn EntertainmentAs the Apex Legends aim assist debate reached a fever-pitch in Season 10, FPS legend Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek gave his two cents on the subject, and speculated that a hybrid controller-MNK approach will overtake the game’s meta. The advantages of different inputs in Apex Legends has been a highly contested topic since the game’s release. With cross play now the norm, and even the ALGS adopting a shared controller-keyboard playing field in its second year, the debate is more pertinent than ever. One voice who’s been outspoken on this issue from the start is Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek. Often regarded as one of the best FPS players in the world, his words carry plenty of weight, and he’s now offered up his own two cents on the often touchy subject. I always thought the meta would be to learn both and swap as you play. Since we’re going deep into cross play. — Michael Grzesiek (@shroud) August 8, 2021 On August 8, Apex Legends creator Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore tweeted out that he was seriously debating a switch from MNK to controller, all to take advantage of that sweet aim assist. “This s**t is [an] aimbot up close,” he remarked. Shortly after his tweet went out, a message from shroud popped up in the replies. “I always thought the meta would be to learn both and swap as you play,” he commented, then continued “[especially] since we’re going [so] deep into cross play.” Moore appeared to agree, and tweeted back “To be honest, it is. [Using] MNK for looting/rotating/range, then [swapping] to controller for anything up close [is the way to go].” He also confirmed that the hybrid approach is sanctioned during ALGS events, meaning pros can use the method without fear of disqualification. PVPX is far from the only pro contemplating a switch to the dual input approach. Some professional players, like TSM’s Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith, have even debated making a full-on switch to controller, arguing that the benefits far outweigh any potential pitfalls. Want some opinions here, would it be completely stupid for me to just full commit to a controller swap? I genuinely don’t believe i can achieve their level of consistency close range even if i aim train 4 hours a day on top of playing as much as i am. — Albralelie (@TSM_Albralelie) August 5, 2021 “I don’t care about all the other disadvantages like movement or long range [gunfights],” Beckwith shared while discussing the switch. “All I care about is mid/close range consistency, which is arguably the most important part of the game at a competitive level.” Other pros aren’t sold on the idea, however. Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin, regarded as one of the top controller pros in Apex, disagreed with Beckwith’s plan to switch inputs, and argued that “[There’s] no shot if you were on ‘roller you are doing some of the plays you did on TSM’s 5 tourney win streak.” “The versatility a top MNK player brings [to their team] is way more than a controller,” Martin argued, and confirmed that “I think any top MNK player switching [to controller] is making a bad decision.” The hybrid input craze continues to swamp the pro Apex Legends scene, and while many high-level competitors will stick to mouse and keyboard, with figures like shroud advocating for the hybrid approach there’s bound to be others who try it out — even if they don’t stick with it forever.

  • Shroud takes hilarious shots at Dr Disrespect after “resident sleeper” win in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud takes hilarious shots at Dr Disrespect after “resident sleeper” win in Apex Legends shroud / Dr DisrespectTwitch streamer shroud threw a friendly jab at Apex Legends with what he considers substandard stats. Apex Legends released February 4 with an overwhelming positive reception from streamers and players alike, and the early domination from top streamers is leading to some trash talk between them. Shroud had just finished a “resident sleeper” game with six kills of his own for a total of 18 kills for his squad, but that still wasn’t enough as the streamer likened the performance to a tame match The Doc would have. At the tail end of the game, shroud’s squad was making easy work out of the last surviving team when he gave a quip toward the Two-Time after the Champion screen flashed across his monitor. “What a boring game,” shroud said. “That was a resident sleeper for sure. That was our lowest kill game in a while. Honestly, what we got maybe 15 kills, max. It’s like a Doc kinda game.” Although the two streamers have a great relationship, friendly jabs can sometimes seep through the competitiveness the two hold against each other. A viewer later joked that shroud was incorrect as the Doc would already be dead at that point in the game, to where shroud jumped to Dr Disrespect’s defense from the “toxic” comment. Still, the shade was enough to send his Twitch Chat into a craze at the sight of shots being thrown between two of the largest streamers on the platform.

  • Shroud suggests awesome Apex Legends combined map idea – Dexerto

Shroud suggests awesome Apex Legends combined map idea Respawn Entertainment/Mixer: shroudEx-CS:GO pro turned full-time streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has shared an awesome hybrid map concept for Apex Legends, combining both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge perfectly. Since its introduction at the beginning of Season 3, feedback to the World’s Edge map in Apex Legends has been modest. While probably unfair to describe it as widely loved, it has certainly not been met with the contempt Fortnite Chapter 2’s map has. Regardless, a mix of nostalgia and genuine preference has strengthened calls for Kings Canyon to return. Although we have seen it come back for some weekends and in Ranked Series 3’s second split, it has not made the full comeback some players want it to. Shroud is one top streamer who has devoted quite a bit of time to Apex Legends since its February 2019 release, and it seems like he’s an advocate of Kings Canyon returning – or at least part of it. In a March 25 tweet, the Mixer star posted an image of a hybrid map, combining the most popular POIs from both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. Attached was the caption: “Best of both worlds?” The map itself was appositely named ‘Kings Edge’. The map is the creation of one dedicated Apex Legends fan, who shared their idea on Reddit. It was acclaimed there, and it seems like shroud is a fan too. Kings Edge retains the fan-favorite areas of both maps. For example, Bunker returns in all its glory in the center of the map, while the northeast area is dominated by Fragment and the Epicenter. Similarly, Skulltown, arguably fans’ favorite POI on the whole Kings Canyon map, makes a return just around the corner from Harvester. Feedback to the map was very positive, with a number of fans speculating how a hybrid environment would shake up gameplay. At the time of writing shroud’s tweet sits at over 20,000 likes, highlighting just how many fans liked the look of Kings Edge. Given the amount of time and effort Respawn inevitably invested in the design of World’s Edge, it seems unlikely they’ll abandon it anytime soon. Still, we can dream.

  • Shroud stunned after Apex streamer’s winning flick: “is he legit?” – Dexerto

Shroud stunned after Apex streamer’s winning flick: “is he legit?” Shroud/UnsplashApex Legends player Bowen ‘Monsoon’ Fuller was briefly accused of cheating by Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek after he took out the Polish-Canadian and the remaining players with crazy shots. With most multiplayer games, there is bound to be cheaters using aimbots or wall hacks. While Apex Legends is no different, sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate between cheating and a potential amazing play. Late into a match on August 14, Monsoon managed to score a couple of frags bringing the total number of players left down to three, including Shroud. “Alright, I’ve got three shots left dude,” Monsoon said before entering a building, knowing he would need to make them count. After running a bit farther ahead and jumping to see if anyone was below him, Shroud jumps down and it was a race to see who can shoot the other first. Once Shroud was taken out, Monsoon started to dance on his Twitch stream. Meanwhile, over on Shroud’s broadcast, he couldn’t believe he lost. “Oooh!” Shroud exclaimed. “Well hot damn. Okay. Shit, son,” he added before spectating Monsoon as he landed the final kill to win the match. “He’s got 12 frags! Oh, he’s cheating!” Monsoon’s reaction to winning, however, was fantastic with the 21-year-old popping off and running around his room. “I’m the best player!” he screamed. Shroud, on the other hand was shocked. “Or is he just real good?” he pondered. “Wait, is he insane?” “Was he walling? How did he know he was there? What’s going on? …Was that guy legit?” The confused streamer continued, “He looked at that guy through the wall and then hit him with a flick. That flick is possible. That is definitely doable flick. That’s not the problem. Was that legit?!” You know you’re on top of your game when you get accused of cheating by one of the best to ever play an FPS game. To Shroud’s credit though, while he did believe Monsoon could have been cheating, he wasn’t completely positive and admired his skill if it was legitimate.

  • Shroud speechless after Apex Legends game is ruined by bizarre hit reg – Dexerto

Shroud speechless after Apex Legends game is ruined by bizarre hit reg Twitch star Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek is known as one of the best FPS players in the world, but was left lost for words after losing a straightforward shotgun battle on Apex Legends. The former CS:GO professional usually manages to keep a level head whatever happens in the game he decides to stream, but Apex recently caused him to lose his mind after discovering a way to counter a gold level four shield. His frustrations continued when teaming up with long-time friend and teammate Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham, as shroud was downed by an enemy player, despite the majority of his shotgun shots appearing to hit his opponent from point blank range. While lining up a seemingly free kill, shroud’s god-like aim deserted him while using the EVA-8, allowing his foe to score an elimination. Shroud didn’t make any excuses for his poor accuracy, but his Twitch chat were convinced that his shots did in fact land, suggesting the hit registration in Apex was to blame. “I don’t know what to say,” Shroud said. “I thought those shots were pretty good – but they were not. I must have missed every shot by the slightest. That was crazy.” While it seems a few bullets do actually go through the enemy, shroud’s evaluation of the duel may be correct, as it appears he misses the majority of his shots by the smallest of margins. He continued: “I can’t explain what happened to me. I don’t think I’ve ever missed so many shots in my life. It was the weirdest situation I’ve ever been in. “I must have been the tiniest fraction off in every single shotgun shot.” While his viewers continued to debate whether shroud was at fault, the streamer quickly made up for his poor showing with a solid win in their next game. One thing is for sure, the 25-year-old will be avoiding the EVA-8 shotgun in future.

  • Shroud shows why the Flatline is the “best gun” in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud shows why the Flatline is the “best gun” in Apex Legends Mixer: Shroud / RespawnMixer star Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek is known for his incredible prowess and knowledge in first-person shooters and has unexpectedly dubbed the VK-47 Flatline as Apex Legends’ best gun. Shroud is no stranger to Apex Legends, having played the game on and off since release while absolutely bossing it. He has an incredible knowledge of the game and is able to back his talk up with insane skill, so many fans tend to pay attention to his comments. However, he has very surprisingly stated that the Flatline, of all weapons, is the best gun in Apex. In a YouTube video released on Feb 19, Grzesiek continued his grind to the highest rank in the game (Apex Predator) and while making a flank in one match secured two kills, before dubbing the Flatline as the best weapon in Apex Legends. “Oh my God, that’s why the Flatline is the best gun in the game, right there,” he said, after securing the kills lightning fast with the weapon, all while saving his teammates in the process. Many were no doubt shocked as the Canadian rated the weapon over the likes of the R-301 and the R-99, but with how quickly he was able to get those two kills, he may just have a point. What’s more surprising is that he used the gun in single fire mode, rather than fully automatic, when many would opt for the faster fire rate instead. Perhaps the Flatline is quite underrated at the moment and, with how much Shroud was able to do with it in so little time, it may be worth testing out the powerful single fire mode and seeing just how strong it is.

  • Shroud shows how overpowered the buffed Longbow can be in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud shows how overpowered the buffed Longbow can be in Apex Legends Twitch superstar Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek is finally back playing popular battle royale Apex Legends after a short break and may have found a new favorite weapon, the Longbow DMR. Respawn Entertainment made a number of weapon balancing changes in the latest patch, 1.1.1 which was officially released on April 11, including a variety of improvements to the Longbow DMR which many players felt was underpowered in its former state. The alterations include an increased fire rate from 1.2 to 1.6 to allow more shots to be released in quick succession, as well as a larger magazine size on the base, common, rare and epic mags, and shroud was quick to highlight just how good the weapon can be if you’re aim is on point. Shroud wipes a squad with the Longbow DMR Combined with the R-99, the former CS:GO professional was clearly impressed with the weapon’s capabilities after eliminating three players with ease. Using a thermite grenade to inflict even more damage to his opponents, shroud knocked down his first foe with the buffed gun, downed his team-mate after spraying with the SMG, before finishing the impressive clip with the Longbow DMR. Shroud couldn’t contain his excitement stating: “That was extremely average but I just wanted to freak out.” Even after dropping out the jump ship, shroud showcased how useful the Longbow DMR can be off spawn. In the search of becoming the Apex champions with his squad, shroud landed on just a Mozambique and the Longbow before hitting a lovely sliding no-scope headshot which instantly knocked down his adversary. If you’re playing Apex Legends on console, Reddit users have suggested switching your controller aiming settings to ‘Fine Aim’ can result in increased accuracy so you can attempt to replicate shroud’s exploits. While not many players can boast to have similar skills to the Twitch streamer, the 24-year-old showcased just how overpowered the post-patch weapon can be if you have excellent aim.

  • Shroud shows off mind-blowing aim with his most incredible Apex Legends play yet – Dexerto

Shroud shows off mind-blowing aim with his most incredible Apex Legends play yet While streaming Apex Legends, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek pulled off a play that was jaw-dropping even by his incredibly high standards. A former professional CS:GO player, since retiring from pro play Shroud has become one of the most popular broadcasters on Twitch, renowned for his exceptional mechanical skills and ability to pick up new FPS titles and instantly dominate. As with the majority of Twitch’s most popular streamers, Shroud has spent the last few weeks glued to Apex Legends, which has enjoyed a viral explosion of popularity since its launch on February 4. During a stream on February 27 Shroud pulled off arguably his most impressive play in the new battle royale to date, after coming to the rescue of his team-mates who were being focused down by an enemy squad. Immediately after he finished off the first player, Shroud switched his focus with a 90 degree snap worthy of an aim-bot for an instant second kill, before burning down the third with laser precision. The play was so insane that even Shroud himself, usually fairly impassive despite frequently pulling off plays far beyond the capabilities of most players, commented on how impressive it was. Shroud, who was already one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, experienced an additional surge in viewership with the release of Apex Legends. The boost in viewing figures, which saw Shroud’s streams pass 100,000 concurrent viewers on several occasions, were so surprising that Shroud even suggested that they must be a result of view-botting, and encouraged viewers to watch other broadcasters as well. It’s unsurprising, considering Shroud’s ability to pull off plays like this, that his channel has become the most popular destination for viewers looking to watch high-level Apex Legends.

  • Shroud shows off human-aimbot skills in new Apex Legends sniper LTM – Dexerto

Shroud shows off human-aimbot skills in new Apex Legends sniper LTM respawn / shroudPopular Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek displayed his incredible skill on the new Apex Legends Armed and Dangerous limited-time game mode. As part of Apex Legends’ Voidwalker Event, Respawn Entertainment recently released a new snipers and shotguns only limited-time mode for players to experience. Many fans of the popular battle royale, including top streamer shroud, have quickly gravitated towards the new LTM which makes for the perfect opportunity to pull off some highlight plays. Shroud was streaming some attempts at the new Armed and Dangerous LTM when he began to display just how good he is with Apex Legends’ sniper rifles. The Canadian streamer quickly dispatched of enemy squads in King’s Canyon with his incredible accuracy, hitting some ridiculous flicks on weapons such as the Longbow and Triple Take rifles. It’s the kind of signature play which the former CS:GO pro is known for, and what has made him so popular as a livestreamer. Shroud was forced to fend for himself after his teammates had been downed early but it did not dissuade the streamer from his usual aggressive playstyle, as he strafed his way in and out of cover, taking down his in-game opponents. The former CSGO star became more confident as the games went on and casually began to go for 360 kills and other trickshots while testing the new LTM. Shroud managed to wipe squad after squad, displaying just how well his mechanical skills from other FPS titles such as CS:GO and PUBG could transfer to Respawn’s battle royale. Many fans were excited to see shroud back on Apex, as his recent streams were packed with World of Warcraft content since the release of WoW Classic. Fellow Twitch streamer, Dr Disrespect had been calling for shroud to return to some of the battle royale games and even donated him $100 in an attempt to get the Twitch star away from WoW Classic. Shroud also revealed that despite his enjoyment of WoW Classic’s release, he would be mixing in other games, such as Apex Legends, to keep his stream fresh for viewers.

  • Shroud shares his thoughts on new CAR SMG in Apex Season 11 – Dexerto

Shroud shares his thoughts on new CAR SMG in Apex Season 11 Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: shroudTwitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has tested out the new CAR SMG in Apex Legends Season 11 and shared whether he thinks it can compete with the R-99. Whenever a new weapon is added to Apex Legends, it takes the community a while to decide whether it can compete in the meta, or should be left to the wayside. Now, with the CAR SMG being added in Season 11, a lot of players are divided over whether the gun is strong enough compared to some of the other SMG options. Although the Titanfall weapon has an incredibly strong rate of fire, it does deal less damage than the Volt and has a hefty recoil pattern. In an attempt to find out just how strong the CAR is, shroud entered the Firing Range and decided to try it out for himself. Shroud compares the CAR SMG with the fan-favorite R-99 During his November 4 stream, shroud decided to hop on Apex Legends and try some of the new content that arrived in Season 11. Heading into the Firing Range, he began testing out the CAR SMG and comparing it to the R-99. Although initially he was convinced the new SMG could take the R-99’s spot in the meta, he quickly changed his mind after shooting the weapon. It was obvious he felt it just didn’t feel as laser-point accurate as the R-99 with the same attachments, but he was incredibly impressed with the unique ammo feature: “What? It goes both? What is the point of the R-99? What? Ok the R-99, there’s no point of it anymore, ok never mind the active feed is pretty bad, I mean it’s ok.” Overall, it doesn’t look like the CAR SMG will be taking over the Apex meta anytime soon, but the gun’s ability to take Heavy and Light ammo makes it a perfect pick for players who are constantly running out of ammo. However, as shown by shroud, the SMG’s recoil pattern isn’t easy to control, so make sure you jump into the Firing Range and get some practice before taking it into any standard matches.

  • Shroud says Apex Legends is still the best BR despite one major issue – Dexerto

Shroud says Apex Legends is still the best BR despite one major issue Twitch: shroud / Respawn EntertainmentTwitch streamer and FPS extraordinaire Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has mastered any shooter that comes his way, but believes Apex Legends is still the best battle royale, despite having one key issue with it. [jwplayer KEHOOBWR] Throughout the game’s existence, shroud has frequently had an on/off relationship with it, at times clearly in love with it before falling back on other games to keep things fresh. This is somewhat dissimilar to a lot of the top streamers, who will stick to one game almost permanently until something new comes out, as we’ve seen with the likes of Fortnite and Warzone. As more of a variety streamer, shroud likes to share the love, but has now returned to the Apex grind once again. During an October 8 Twitch stream, shroud was asked if he’s enjoying grinding Respawn’s battle royale once again — and he clearly was. “Apex is, by far, still the best BR,” he said, clearly not even entertaining the idea that there’s any better on the market. That’s not to say he thinks it’s perfect though, and did mention what his main gripe with the game was. “I don’t want to ruin their work or anything, but people expect updates faster, and they don’t deliver it that quickly. But Apex is still the best BR, regardless of their speed of content.” Shroud also goes on to mention that he’s really enjoying the new Flashpoint LTM, which sees healing items removed in favor of healing “zones,” where you can go to regen both health and shields. Clearly, shroud is loving life on Apex once again since the start of the Aftermarket event, and if updates came a little quicker we could maybe see the former CS pro make it his main game on a more permanent basis.

  • Shroud says Apex Legends is “ruined” until new sliding ‘bug’ is fixed – Dexerto

Shroud says Apex Legends is “ruined” until new sliding ‘bug’ is fixed Respawn / Twitch: shroudTop Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek has ruled out a return to playing Apex Legends – at least until a major bug with weapon accuracy is resolved. The former CS:GO professional is regarded as one of the finest aimers with a keyboard and mouse on all of Twitch, with the first person shooter genre his stomping ground. Apex Legends was right up his alley upon its launch, with a fast and fluid movement system, predictive weapon recoil just like Counter-Strike (which shroud says he actually suggested to the devs) and the classic battle royale gameplay that his channel is known for. However, after a month or so of almost non-stop Apex Legends, shroud appeared to fall out of love with Respawn’s battle royale, and his hours streaming the game dwindled rapidly. This paralleled with a drop in the game’s overall ‘hype’ levels too, with a lack of new content blamed for a declining player base and even faster declining revenue from in-game purchases. Following the big Legendary Hunt update on June 4, some viewers pleaded with shroud to give the game another chance, but he wasn’t convinced. “Whenever they fix the bug, yeh, I’ll play it,” he said. “I am not playing it during that bug. Literally the whole game is ruined.” Exactly what bug is shroud referring to? Well, it appears that following the June 4 update, Respawn have, perhaps unintentionally, added a severe accuracy penalty for shooting while sliding. As shown by shroud’s housemate and former CS:GO teammate Tyler ‘skadoodle‘ Latham, when players shoot when sliding the bullets appear to bloom randomly, where they were previously completely accurate. Shroud clarified that this was in fact the ‘bug’ he was referring to, explaining “Literally shoot your gun while sliding, and that’s the bug. “I would say half of Apex is sliding and shooting, so… yeah.” What is concerning, however, is that Respawn have not actually confirmed whether or not this accuracy penalty when sliding is a bug or intentional. The penalty appears to exist across all weapon types, and so surely has to have been coded, quite deliberately into the game. It may require feedback from the community if Respawn are to implement a change, and revert to the pre-patch state.

  • Shroud reveals why he wanted Apex Legends’ Octane nerfed before release – Dexerto

Shroud reveals why he wanted Apex Legends’ Octane nerfed before release Popular streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has shared his thoughts on new Apex Legends character Octane and suggested that Wattson may not be far behind. Season One of Apex Legends is finally due to launch on March 19, bringing with it the game’s first Battle Pass and the first new Legend to be added to the game post-launch – Octane. While Octane’s abilities have long since been leaked, most players haven’t yet had hands-on experience with the new character. According to Shroud, however, who helped test and give feedback on the game prior to launch, both Octane and Wattson, another leaked Legend, have been in a playable state for quite some time. Read more: Apex Legends Season 1: Wild Frontier Update – Early patch notes, Battle Pass, new Legend and more – Shroud revealed that he played both Octane and Wattson in his very first testing session of Apex Legends nearly a year previously. Of Octane, Shroud revealed he was so much fun that he couldn’t stop playing him all throughout the day he was testing the game, but that he expects Respawn to have adjusted him slightly in the months since as Shroud himself advised that he was too fast to be entirely balanced. Notably, Shroud also stated that Apex developers Respawn Entertainment were intending for Wattson to be released within the game’s first season. While he declined to give any further details about Wattson’s character or abilities, Shroud not only confirmed the veracity of the various leaks that identified Wattson as a future Legend, but also added weight to the theories that they will be joining the game within the first season. So far, Respawn have not so much as confirmed the existence of Wattson, but it increasingly seems that a reveal may not be too far off. While it’s very possible they could have changed their minds in the months since Shroud was testing the game, it appears their original intention at least was for Octane not to be the only new Legend releasing in Season One.

  • Shroud reveals why Season 5 makes him want to return to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud reveals why Season 5 makes him want to return to Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/Mixer: shroudMichael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed why he’s excited to get his hands on Apex Legends Season 5 and its multiple new features. One of the major strengths of the former CS:GO pro that sets him apart from a host of streamers is a versatility and ability to dominate multiple titles at once. Despite not being a professional player in any game since Counter-Strike, he has demonstrated an unprecedented adeptness at multiple titles, including Respawn’s Apex Legends. Following its release back in early 2019, shroud spent a lot of time playing the Titanfall-inspired battle royale. He has not spent too much time with it recently but, going off his comments in response to Loba’s official gameplay trailer, he’ll be back playing it soon. In a recent Mixer stream, Shroud seemed intrigued by the game’s new Quests and Treasure Packs, as well as responding positively to the new Ultimate-charging feature. In the trailer, Gibraltar can be seen earning his ‘Defensive Bombardment’, a change shroud appeared to enjoy. “Damn, he got his ultimate from that? That’s cool,” he exclaimed. In response to Loba’s finisher, the Mixer streamer said: “That’s a cool finisher. That was cool. It actually looks kinda dope, not gonna lie. That actually looks kinda dope. It’s in 4 days? I think I’ll play it.” Topic starts at 0:40 – While most of shroud’s recent streaming has been on Valorant, it sound like he’ll be making a return to World’s Edge. “Is this Skulltown?” he asked, curious about the map changes teased in the Season 5 trailers. “It’s weird looking at it from this angle… this actually looks pretty cool. You have this thing right here that gives your ult. This is an ult charge thing – that’s pretty cool.” Season 5’s launch has been geared around shaking up Apex’s established formula and introducing new features for players to dive into. Shroud appears to be excited by a number of the new changes, namely Loba and the new Ultimate-charging devices, indicating we’ll see him back on Apex when Season 5 drops on May 12. How long he remains on the game, is another thing altogether.

  • Shroud reveals the “big concern” about Apex Legends right now – Dexerto

Shroud reveals the “big concern” about Apex Legends right now Shroud – YouTube / Respawn EntertainmentDespite saying that Apex Legends is in a “decent” state, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek believes lack of consistency and performance issues continue to be a major problem for the popular battle royale. After a strong first year of existence in the ultra-competitive battle royale genre, Apex Legends headed into 2020 looking to build upon its strong successes. The recent launch of Season 4: Assimilation brought back a lot of attention and players, one being shroud, who has been playing the game a lot more after taking extended breaks from it in the second half of 2019. During one of his recent streams, he was asked about his thoughts on the current state of Apex Legends. He responded, first, with the positives: “When everything’s working as intended, it’s awesome. When it’s not crashing, when it’s not server lag, it’s fun, it’s a good time. The ranked playlist is fun, the LTMs they do are pretty decent…” Read More: Sneaky Apex Legends Season 4 hiding spots – However, the main issue, at least in shroud’s eyes, is that the game simply doesn’t perform at a high level consistently enough for its positive aspects to shine properly. “But honestly, Apex is in a decent state when it works, it just doesn’t, and that’s the problem, that’s the big concern. That’s why everyone’s pissed, everyone’s pissed because their sh*t doesn’t work half the time.” “There’s so many problems that ruin your experience and they happen very very frequently,” he added. “Like randomly you join a server in ranked and all of a sudden it’s laggy as f**k.” When another viewer countered by saying “every game has problems,” shroud conceded that to be true but also explained that his concerns went beyond Apex just having issues. Read More: Strange Apex bug gives Bangalore 3 arms – “Yeah for sure, but it’s a matter of how frequent those problems are and how long they take to address those problems,” he said. “Apex has had bad servers since the very beginning of launch, so at what point do you just say f**k it.” (Segment begins at 29:44 mark for mobile users.) Communication is also important to shroud, who wants to see developers connect better with their game’s player-base and community, much like Escape from Tarkov’s devs. “It’s just tough when problems exist for well over a year and nothing gets done,” he explained. “Yeah I know it’s challenging but, sh*t, even just saying it’s challenging goes a long way. Just letting the community know ‘we’re still working on this, but f**k it’s hard!’” “I wish more companies spoke out like Escape from Tarkov devs do. Escape from Tarkov devs sometimes say a little too much, but honestly, I’d rather a company say too much than nothing at all.” That’s likely another reason why he’s been much more inclined to play EFT than Apex Legends, or any other game for that matter. Communication is certainly key, so maybe if Respawn let more info flow between the devs and community, players like shroud could look to be more involved with the game in the future.

  • Shroud reveals one Fortnite feature he wishes Apex Legends would add – Dexerto

Shroud reveals one Fortnite feature he wishes Apex Legends would add Respawn/Twitch: ShroudTwitch star Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed the one thing that he’d like to see Apex Legends take from Fortnite in the future – and it’s not something you might expect. As battle royale games continue to innovate and change, the different developers have seemingly taken inspiration from their rivals. In the case of Apex Legends, Respawn added loot vaults with the addition of World’s Edge, and they were added to Fortnite not long after. Similarly, with Call of Duty Warzone, a train appeared in Verdansk during season five, similar to the one Apex used to have. These features being used in rival games could simply be because its too good an idea to not use or because fans demand that devs keep up with their rivals. And in the case of Shroud, he’s got something he’d like Apex to take from Fortnite. During his October 4 stream, the Twitch star had been playing Respawn’s popular battle royale title when he decided to talk about something that the game is lacking. “This is going to sound weird, but I wish the colors in this game – of the maps – were vibrant like Fortnite,” Shroud said, while waiting to get back into another ranker match session. “Like, bright blue, bright green, bright orange. But, instead, it’s like this sand kind of beige that looks kind of gross, you know. Like this game, if it had all Fortnite colors, it would be so sick in terms of maps.” It might not be the biggest, game-changing idea ever, but keeping the maps and scenery fresh is something that Epic has proven can keep players coming back for more. In the case of Apex Legends, Season 7 isn’t all that far away and it’s expected that players will see a new map, so it remains to be seen if it’ll be the bright and shiny map that Shroud desires.

  • Shroud reveals how he improved his Apex Legends framerate – Dexerto

Shroud reveals how he improved his Apex Legends framerate Twitch: shroud / Respawn EntertainmentMichael ‘Apex Legends following complaints that the game doesn’t always look amazing. Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale titles on the market, and while it’s been relatively smooth sailing in terms of bugs and glitches, there have been complaints about how the game runs, specifically in certain areas of the map. While graphics that don’t render properly and framerate drops can be extremely frustrating, shroud appears to have solved that issue with a rather simple fix. While playing Apex Legends with Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham and Brandon ‘Ace’ Winn, the Canadian took a look through some of the brand new skins he had received in the Iron Crown event, before remarking that they “probably look like shit” to his teammates who play with their graphics settings all the way down. “I modified the config a little bit to improve my quality,” revealed the former CS:GO pro. “Skins look good, the world looks a little bit better than what you currently are seeing, but it’s still shit. I literally lost no frames, it was great.” While messing with the game’s files may sound complicated and confusing, shroud revealed the easiest way in which he saw major upgrades to his framerate, explaining: “The new drivers, I downloaded that and I got more frames too. Containment, I don’t even drop frames anymore. That place is hell.” Thankfully, doing so is easy. Simply head to the website of your graphics card manufacturer, such as NVIDIA, enter the name of the model inside your PC, download the latest drivers for that card, and you should see major improvements in your frames-per-second while playing Apex Legends. Unfortunately, shroud didn’t show off what changes he made to the configuration files inside the game, but we’ll be sure to update this post if and when he makes them available.

  • Shroud reveals his favorite Season 4 map changes in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud reveals his favorite Season 4 map changes in Apex Legends Mixer: shroud / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 4 has arrived, and with it has come a host of changes to the World’s Edge map, all of which have got Mixer star Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek excited to dive back into Respawn’s wild battle royale. Apex’s major update on February 4 finally heralded in the new season, titled Assimilation, and with it came a new legend, new weapons, and a series of map-breaking tweaks that have changed the face of World’s Edge forever. Shroud, who had a helping hand in building Apex’s competitive gameplay all the way back in the title’s development, took a look at the changes, from the new Planet Harvester to the split in Capitol City, and admitted he liked what he saw. Shroud digs the new, shattered World’s Edge design Although he has yet to drop into the new-look World’s Edge, at least on-stream, and that may change his opinion of the map tweaks again, it was all positive from the Mixer superstar as he cast his eye over the devastated World’s Edge map. In particular, he said he was impressed by the way Respawn had managed to take the map players have been grinding Apex Legends on since the start of Season 3, and breathe new life into its focal areas and pressure points. “This is very different. One side of Capitol City is very different, the other side maybe not so much,” he said as he scrolled through the season reveal trailer, catching snippets of the shattered World’s Edge map. “They did a good job of keeping it true to the city still being there, but kind of broke it up and sh*t,” he added, and said he liked the changes. “It’s all kind of neat.” Another feature he noticed in the gameplay trailer was the changed train lines littered across World’s Edge, which he hypothesized that two trains could be steaming around the map. As he watched on, however, he changed his mind. “They have two trains now? Or maybe that’s just one big, new set that’s connected,” he said, trying to catch another glimpse of the rails. “Yeah, I think it’s just one train, I’m stupid. Still pretty cool, all the changes are pretty neat. All very cool.” Will shroud return for the Apex ranked grind? Unfortunately for shroud fans hankering to see the human aimbot storm back into Apex in a big way, it looks like he may still not be ready to commit to the ranked series grind, especially with Escape from Tarkov waiting in the wings. When asked whether he’d be pushing for the highest-ranked title in the game, Predator, and retaining it during the game’s new splits, the Mixer star refused to commit. “Absolutely not,” he added, crushing any hopes for a long-term return. According to the streaming superstar, his refusal to return comes partly because of just how many hours it takes to get to the top levels in Apex at the moment with their ranked series system, and because he wants to play other titles too. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 2:33 in the video below. So what did change for Apex’s map this season? Probably the biggest new addition to World’s Edge is The Planet Harvester, which is a gigantic metal mining facility located at the heart of the map. It features a constant beam of red light into the sky, which players will be able to use “for a better sense of directionality to the center of the map.” Another key swap was the rupture and split Capitol City into two separate zones called Fragment East and Fragment West, separated by a giant fissure. According to Respawn, this change was made because it was known to be a popular drop zone, and teams who land there are often killed by third parties. Now, the only way to get from one side to the other is to take a zipline or fallen skyscraper, or take advantage of Pathfinder and Octane’s ultimate abilities. While it looks like shroud may not be coming back to Apex Legends permanently, there’s still plenty to celebrate for Apex fans – with the start of the new season there’s plenty to discover, learn, and grind going forward. One thing to explore could be more map changes. While these have been a few key tweaks announced, there could also be other, smaller updates to World’s Edge too, which players will have to discover for themselves.

  • Shroud reveals he directly influenced Apex Legends weapon recoil – Dexerto

Shroud reveals he directly influenced Apex Legends weapon recoil Former CS:GO pro turned streamer, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek can finally talk about and play Respawn’s new ‘Apex Legends’ battle royale, having helped in its development for months. Recognized as one of the finest PC gamers in the world, shroud has taken his talents to a variety of titles after retiring from professional play, and his insight is invaluable to developers – as well as his exposure. He pulled in over 100,000 concurrent viewers on his first day of streaming the game on February 4, and as he finally got to show off his skills in Apex Legends, he also revealed some of the design insight he had shared with the devs. 700One of Counter-Strike’s trademark gameplay features is the use of consistent, predictable recoil patterns. Each weapon has its own specific pattern, which it will replicate exactly every single time it is fired. Shroud explains that his experience with CS:GO informed one of his suggestions to Respawn, who had originally implemented a more randomized recoil system. “The recoil on their weapons was kind of randomized, and I told them ‘you know what would be really cool in this game and you guys should try – having pre-set recoil on every single weapon, like Counter-Strike’”, shroud explains, “They ended up going with that idea, and that’s how the recoil is in this game now.” So, when a player fires a weapon full-auto, it will produce the exact same recoil pattern every time, allowing players who spend time with the game to master each weapon and its specific pattern. In Apex Legends, some weapons are much more easily controlled than others, with the more powerful weapons having more punishing recoil which the player must attempt to counter. • Shroud returns to Apex Legends but quits after only 3 matches – Dexerto

Shroud returns to Apex Legends but quits after only 3 matches Twitch: shroud/Respawn EntertainmentPopular Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek grew frustrated with Apex Legends after just 3 games, promptly quitting the battle royale in favor of Riot Games’ Valorant. Seeing shroud back on Twitch has been a welcome sight for his millions of fans, with the ex-CS:GO pro returning to his original platform following the collapse of Mixer. Despite his long-awaited return, he has struggled to nail down one title he wants to spend significant amounts of time with. A hacker forced the streaming star to quit Warzone in one of his first streams back and, on August 21, his time on Apex ended a similar way. While there was no hacker in sight, shroud became frustrated with a number of aspects of the new season. The final straw was Bloodhound’s Ultimate Ability – Beast of the Hunt. The ability enables Bloodhound to find prey far more easily, as well as moving significantly quicker. With the first circle just beginning to close, shroud’s team quickly became engaged in a gunfight, leading to the ex-CS:GO star using his ult to try and locate his opponents. However, shroud felt that the usage of his Ultimate messed around with his sensitivity, blaming it for his untimely death. “Jesus! Dude I had the Longbow as my backup,” shroud said, as he was downed by an enemy team. “They made Bloodhound’s ult’s sensitivity different. Like literally, my sensitivity fully changed when I popped my ult. How? How is this happening?” “Well, that’s enough Apex,” he finished. That was the end of shroud’s time on Apex Legends, as he promptly moved over to Riot Games’ Valorant – the tactical FPS game that many thought shroud was set to turn pro in. That proved untrue, with shroud back at his variety streaming as soon as he reappeared on Twitch. He appears to be struggling to nail down a title though, at least if his fortunes on Warzone and Apex Legends are anything to go by.

  • Why Shroud simply refuses to play Valkyrie in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Why Shroud simply refuses to play Valkyrie in Apex Legends Twitch: Shroud / Respawn EntertainmentMichael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek isn’t a fan of Valkyrie, the newest legend to join the Apex Legends roster. He refuses to play it unless Respawn Entertainment changes the way her VTOL Jets ability functions. Apex Legends players can’t get enough of Valkyrie, the high-flying legend who joined the fray in Apex Legends Season 9. But although she has plenty to offer, especially when used correctly, Shroud refuses to play her. He explained why during a recent stream, and it all comes down to two simple points. First, he doesn’t believe “she’s useful”. And second, he doesn’t like how her VTOL Jets ability works, at least in terms of key bindings. “The new character seems bad. [It] seems cool, but not very useful,” he said. “I haven’t [played the character]. But from what I’ve seen, I don’t know. I just don’t see a world where the meta of the characters changes.” He listed some of the legends he thinks have always been the strongest, including Bloodhunter, Lifeline, Pathfinder, Wattson, and Wraith. And naturally, he doesn’t see Valkyrie replacing one of them anytime soon. Still, that didn’t stop him from giving her a go in the firing range. But it didn’t take him long to get put off. Read More: How to get Apex Legends Mirage Edition – “Can I make it so that I only boost with the spacebar, or is it always just gonna be with jump? That’s gonna be so annoying. I don’t think I’m going to be able to play this character. I’ve got to be able to change that, right?” For those unfamiliar with his key bindings, he uses the mouse wheel to jump. It traces back to his days as a professional CSGO player, where it was necessary to perform the bunnyhop technique. However, every time he tried to bunnyhop on Valkyrie, he’d fly instead. As it turned out, it was more than the Twitch star could bear. “Okay, I’m not playing this character. I’ll tell you that right now. That’s the first mistake that they overlooked. I’m not playing this character. I can’t do it. “There’s no way in hell I’m going to be able to do that successfully. I’m just going to be [using the jetpack when I’m] trying to [bunnyhop].” The relevant part of the video starts at 0:17. Not everyone will agree with Shroud, especially those who don’t have the same issue with bunnyhopping. However, based on what he’s said, it’s reasonable to assume we won’t see him on the game’s newest legend anytime soon.

  • Shroud combines Octane’s Jump Pad and Supply Bin glitch with incredible results – Dexerto

Shroud combines Octane’s Jump Pad and Supply Bin glitch with incredible results L: Shroud. R: Respawn.Popular Apex Legends Supply Bin glitch by combining it with Octane’s Jump Pad ability. Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends swept over the gaming world like wildfire following it’s February 4 release – amassing a PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale. The game, like plenty of others, still has a ton of bugs that can both enhance and detract from matches. One such bug is the Supply Bin glitch which, after punching the inside of an opened bin, will send players flying in the direction in which they lined up their punch. What did Shroud uncover? There still hasn’t been a fix for the issue so players, like shroud, have continued to use to have a bit of fun. The former CS:GO pro and his pals had been messing around with the Supply Bin glitch during their games as they trolled other players on their way to multiple victories. However, they had the ingenious idea of combining the glitch with Octane’s Jump Pad ability – looking to give the squad an even bigger launch before soaring over the map. Shroud, as ever, stepped up as the guinea pig for the experiment and went flying across the map at an even greater height than ever. “Well, I’ve never been on Bunker before, oh my god,” shroud told his teammates while laughing at the ridiculousness of what had just happened. Will Respawn fix the issue? While Respawn probably didn’t intend for Octane’s Jump Pad to be used in this way, it appears as if players can definitely combine the two launch abilities to get some sweet air time. It remains to be seen if the developers have a fix up their sleeve for the Supply Bin glitch before it gets even further out of hand than it already has.

  • Shroud mind blown after being taken out by Apex Legends cheaters – Dexerto

Shroud mind blown after being taken out by Apex Legends cheaters Respawn/Twitch: ShroudPopular Apex Legends, that wrecked him and his friends. Apex Legends has quickly swept over the gaming world since it’s surprising release on February 4, with over 50 million players hopping in and taking part in at least one game during the title’s first month of release. However, like the majority of games, hackers and cheaters have quickly made their mark with a variety of exploits – even though Respawn Entertainment have done their best to keep on top of the cheats in their prized battle royale. What are Respawn doing about Apex Legends cheaters? The game’s developers recently launched another ban wave on hackers, but a few rogue users appear to have slipped through the net and disrupted shroud’s recent session of Apex Legends. Read More: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional was gunned down during one match and left completely puzzled by what had happened with his killer firing round after round of bullets with incredibly precise accuracy. Shroud, while being curious about the player, only received an explanation about what had occurred when he stuck around to spectate his killer. “Oh my God, no wonder I died so fucking fast,” stated the former Cloud9 pro after watching the player pick up another couple of kills. It didn’t take long for the popular streamer to then report the enemy player for cheating before he moved on and headed to another match lobby. While Respawn has done their utmost to make sure that their popular battle royale remains relatively clean from exploits, a few will always rear their head and slip through the cracks. Yet, their cause to clean up the game is helped when streamers like shroud catch a few in the act – especially when they take down a player of his caliber with relative ease in front of his huge Twitch audience. –

  • Shroud mind blown after opponent perfectly counters his gold shield in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud mind blown after opponent perfectly counters his gold shield in Apex Legends As one of the most popular channels on the livestreaming platform, viewers flock to shroud’s stream as he showcases his incredible gaming skills on a daily basis. However, despite his usually cool, calm, and collected attitude, even he isn’t immune from running into in-game situations that cause frustrations and a not-safe-for-work outburst. During his June 22 stream, the former CS:GO pro was doing what he does best – winning games of Apex Legends. However, as he was on the path to another win, he tried to earn his free shield boost by using Octane’s finisher while using a gold (level 4) shield. “What?” exclaimed shroud, disappointed that after finishing the move, his gold shield hadn’t in fact refilled at all. “Oh, he left the game. That’s horseshit.” I didn’t get my boy, my boy – are you fucking me?” he added, upon realizing he’d have to recharge his shield another way, “that’s so lame.” Shroud didn’t even leave his annoyance with the situation there, however, as he explained what had just happened to teammate Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham. The streamer continued on: “Dude, that’s such bullshit,” before turning his attention to another group of players and bagging a few more kills. The frustration didn’t affect the outcome of shroud’s game in any way as he and his partners powered their way to yet another victory. However, with Apex Legends Season 2 just around the corner, it could well be something that Respawn considers fixing so that players are still rewarded for choosing to use a finisher, rather than being punished because the enemy took the easy way out.

  • Shroud gives early verdict on future Apex Legends character Wattson – Dexerto

Shroud gives early verdict on future Apex Legends character Wattson HyperX / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans are excitedly anticipating the release of Wattson, the next character scheduled to be added to the popular battle royale title, but Michael ‘CS:GO pro transfer his skills from the legendary shooter into Kings Canyon. The Canadian has also been involved in the creation of the game itself, travelling to Respawn Entertainment’s studios to test Apex Legends and the characters in it, providing the developers with his thoughts on the best way to balance the legends and their abilities. Shroud didn’t like playing as Wattson As part of his testing for Respawn Entertainment and Apex Legends, shroud has tried out Wattson, who is believed to be the next character added to the game. While fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to finally get their hands on a new character, shroud has been less than complimentary about Wattson, and informed fans of the game during his Sunday, May 12 stream that he is not a fan of the legend. When asked by a viewer if he liked playing as the electrifying character, the Canadian’s response was succinct and to the point: “No, I hated it.” The Twitch streamer quickly attempted to retract his hatred for the character, stating: “I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t like it. That’s all. It’s like me playing Caustic, I just don’t like him.” This isn’t the first time that shroud has expressed his unflattering opinion about Wattson, as back on May 3 the streamer warned fans of the game that the next legend is “not going to be that sick.” Is Wattson the next addition to Apex Legends? Since the addition of speed-demon Octane back in March, rumors have been circulating that Wattson is next in line to enter the battlefield and attempt to become an Apex Champion. The character’s abilities have since been leaked, insinuating that Respawn are fairly far down the line in terms of developing Wattson. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Apex Legends pros – Shroud’s confirmation that he has played as Wattson at least adds credence to the idea that the character, whose abilities are based around electricity, will be added to the game at some point in the near future. When that will be remains unknown, with Respawn Entertainment and shroud remaining tight-lipped regarding any possible release date for the character.

  • Shroud reveals his favorite gun combo in Apex Legends and it may surprise you – Dexerto

Shroud reveals his favorite gun combo in Apex Legends and it may surprise you Respawn Entertainment / shroud TwitchApex Legends since the game launched in February, and it looks like he’s found a favorite combo of weapons to easily roll over the competition. Players jumping into Apex Legends will notice that the game’s large arsenal is filled with weapons with various strong suits depending on the given situation. Finding the best combo of weapons to run with can be hard, which is why looking for inspiration from human aimbots can go a long way. Shroud is typically a dominating force in the Apex Games as shown in his game where he hilariously punched his way into Apex Predator, and the game’s community is typically very open to hearing tips from the popular Twitch streamer. In his latest video, the former Counter-Strike pro can be seen lighting up King’s Canyon while running the deadly combo featuring the Flatline and Longbow. While the Longbow provides for insane range with forgiving mid-range capabilities, the Flatline is a best to tame but “shred” players if used correctly. “That’s what everyone says in my Chat,” shroud raved on. “They’re like ‘yeah, (the Flatline) is kinda like an AK-47.’ It’s kind of hard to control, but if you hit those shots bro, they’ll shred anybody.” Although both weapons take up Heavy rounds in their magazines, shroud prefers the combo that lets him support his team from afar with the Longbow then instantly drop in the action as he switches to the Flatline. Of course the streamer keeps an eye out for the all-important attachments that the Longbow needs, while the Flatline only has three mod slots and a simple optic sight on it can already work wonders. Even though the guns can take a little while to get the hang of, shroud has been showing just how effective the combo can be in most situations that can happen when a firefight breaks out. Players looking for new weapon combos to try out and experiment could do a lot worse than what’s been constantly working for the seasoned Apex Legends streamer.

  • Shroud falls victim to Apex Legends audio issues: “Does it even exist in this game?” – Dexerto

Shroud falls victim to Apex Legends audio issues: “Does it even exist in this game?” Respawn / YouTubePopular streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has criticized the state of audio in Apex Legends after being knocked down by a nearby opponent he couldn’t hear. Apex Legends is no stranger to bugs and audio issues, with many players complaining about silent footsteps that cover up enemy locations and Legend’s abilities not producing audio cues. Other simply find the audio not strong enough. In a game where being aware of your surroundings is so important, even small issues with audio can throw players off. That’s something that FPS pro Shroud experienced during a recent Apex Legends stream. Like many gamers, Shroud was excited to jump into Season 10 of Apex Legends. Subtitled Emergence, the season introduced a new Legend called Seer as well as map changes and, of course, a new Battle Pass. But during one of his first matches as Seer, Shroud was knocked down by a player that he couldn’t even hear, despite being right next to him. “What? Does audio exist in this game or…?” he questioned in disbelief, before sarcastically adding, “No, probably not. Why would it? You don’t need audio.” Topic starts at 11:54 The devs over at Respawn are very aware of audio problems like the one Shroud experienced – during an Apex Legends Devstream last year, they acknowledged the issue and said it’s something that’s constantly being looked into. “Every patch we work on audio,” they said at the time. “It’s just a beast that we’re battling with. We wanted to give a little hope that we are doing some more significant changes to address this in the future.” It’s unlikely that audio issues are going to stop Shroud from playing Apex Legends, though. He recently explained that, despite PUBG being his most-streamed game, Apex is actually his favorite battle royale. “To me, Fortnite’s number one and Apex Legends is number two, if we’re talking competitive,” he said. “But if we’re talking for me, my most personal fun, Apex Legends and PUBG are number one and two.”
