Respawn’s futuristic battle royale is on the warpath, as the developers are keen to please among the success of Season 10. With new Legends shaking up the battlefield and buffs changing gameplay dynamics, the ever-shifting state of Apex Legends has been enough to bring over new high profile players. Making the leap from Verdansk to Kings Canyon, streaming superstars TimTheTatMan and NICKMERCS are bringing the heat to Apex. The latter, however, is considering taking his Apex career to the next level. NICKMERCS considering pro Apex Legends After spending weeks grinding it out in Apex Legends, NICKMERCS banded together with Clocky and Thompson to try their luck in the ALGS open qualifiers. Going on to reach round 3 of the tournament, the streamer noted “in my opinion, from what the chat was saying, that’s pretty good for our first run.” The Apex Legends Global Series Championship is a noteworthy place to demonstrate your mettle, in front of the whole Apex community. Considering himself this was “first tournament experience in Apex”, NICKMERCS was more than happy with his initial results. The streamer hasn’t even “hit Apex Predator” yet, but this hasn’t deterred him from setting his sights on loftier goals. Speaking on the next step of his Apex career, he could “definitely see” himself “playing in some more of these.” While the streamer doesn’t know if he has the time to commit to a professional Apex trajectory, he certainly wants to “play around with it” when it comes to studying gameplay and assessing his enemies. NICKMERCS is game for hitting up more tournaments in the future, so who knows, this could be the start of a thrilling new chapter for the FaZe streamer.

NICKMERCS confirms he’s going pro in Apex Legends and already has a team – Dexerto
NICKMERCS confirms he’s going pro in Apex Legends and already has a team Twitch: NICKMERCS / Respawn EntertainmentNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has officially locked in plans to hit the Apex Legends pro circuit in 2022 after hitting Predator in the battle royale’s latest season, and he’s already got a team ready to play too. The Twitch superstar has been toying with an Apex Legends pro career for some time now, originally raising the idea after hitting Predator late on in Season 10. Up until recently, NICKMERCS had been far from locked into any Apex Legends pro plans. He’s been eager to “give the ALGS a try,” and made it up to the tournament’s third-round qualifiers last September, but for the most part, it’s just been a vague plan for the FaZe streamer. Now he’s hit Pred a second time, however, he’s all-in. In 2022, the Twitch star is “getting on the grind” in the Apex Legends pro scene, he revealed during a December stream, and he’s already got a team planned. NICKMERCS revealed his Apex Legends pro plans in early December, teasing that his competitive squad is already two-thirds locked, and that their road to the big leagues is likely to begin with qualies in February. “I have big plans for Apex Legends,” he teased. “These plans could change, yeah, but right now I have plans. I want to climb the ranks of Predator, and I want to get to the point where I’m very comfortable [with the game]. I want to get to that point, be very comfortable, before late February next year, then I want to go for Apex Legends pro. Kolcheff went on to reveal he already has one player locked into his trio, regular Twitch partner ItsDeeds, but is looking for a third to round out the team that he’ll be building for his ALGS campaign next year. “Me, Deeds, in. Then whoever we get as a trio. That’s what I want to do now. Maybe that changes by January, but it probably won’t. It’s really what I want to do.” NICKMERCS has been a major advocate for Apex Legends since his high-profile Warzone defection in late August over the waves of cheaters “ruining” CoD’s battle royale. It’s no surprise the 31-year-old wants to go pro in Respawn’s franchise game either — Kolcheff has always been a relatively competitive pro star. The Twitch streamer competed in Fortnite from 2018 to 2019, raking in more than $133k in prizes. He then pivoted into Warzone in 2020, earning a further $36k. Before Fortnite, Kolcheff forged his name in competitive Gears of War and Halo, streaming pro matches on Twitch precursor Justin.TV in the late 2000s.

NICKMERCS further proves haters wrong by making Apex Pro League qualifier finals – Dexerto
NICKMERCS further proves haters wrong by making Apex Pro League qualifier finals Nickmercs/ALGSAfter announcing his intention to try and make the Apex Legends Global Series, streamer NICKMERCS has proved the doubters wrong by advancing into the ALGS Last Chance Qualifiers Final. In March of 2022, NICKMERCS said it was his “purpose” to eventually play in the ALGS — Apex’s competitive ecosystem that gives any player and team a chance to compete at the highest levels. Since committing to getting in the ALGS, Nick’s stream content has heavily focused on Apex Legends. There were plenty of people hating on the influencer though, accusing him of being carried by his teammates: Deeds and Lewda. However, on April 16 he made his doubters eat their words, as the Tripods made it into the finals of the ALGS Last Chance Qualifier in May. NICKMERCS keeps ALGS dreams alive QUALIFIED BABY! 4TH PLACE & 7 MF POINTS SECURED FOR THE ALGS LCQ1 FINALS ON MAY 5TH! LFG! The clip in the above tweet is only a small taste of how dialed in Nick and his teammates were during the tournament. After making the cut, the streamer’s mentions were full of congratulations from his fellow streamers and those in the esports scene. “I’m not trolling I clicked on ur stream right when this happened – moving difffff,” TimtheTatman replied. First, they’ll have to make it through the Last Chance Finals, and if they’re able to do that, they’ll qualify for the $2 million ALGS Championship in July. For the streamer, the prize money might just be a nice silver lining, if they do make it to the tournament. In Nick’s case, simply proving he’s able to make it is the top prize of them all.

NICKMERCS forced to negotiate with hackers in Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS forced to negotiate with hackers in Apex Legends NICKMERCS/RespawnPopular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff was forced to negotiate with Apex Legends hackers after they threatened to derail his ranked match, leading to a comical clip. As a free-to-play battle royale game, Apex Legends players can often find themselves at the mercy of hackers. In fact, a number of lobbies can be filled with squads using everything from aimbot to speed-enhancing cheats, which gives them an unfair advantage over their competitors. NICKMERCS is no stranger to the world of cheaters – in fact, Nick often finds himself in frustrating and often comical scenarios with these players. However, during a recent ranked match, the streamer tried negotiating with a team of hackers. NICKMERCS negotiates with Apex Legends hackers Hackers and stream snipers aren’t exactly anything new for NICKMERCS. After all, the high-energy content creator ends up competing against all kinds of players. Unfortunately, some of these players use hacks to try and make their way onto his Apex Legends streams. However, instead of simply raging and letting the hackers ruin his fun, Nick actually embraced this encounter. After it had become clear that the enemy squad was indeed hacking and watching his stream, Nick decided to negotiate with his opponents. “Lord Kevin, can you come in here and tell me if I can res my friends because I don’t want to make you mad or anything,” said Nick. The Pathfinder then grappled his way over to the streamer and shook his head, indicating that only Nick could live. Timestamp of 13:12 Fortunately, the streamer wasn’t about to leave his friends behind. In an attempt to save his squad from the spectator screen, Nick gave one final plea. “Can I res Deeds and then drac, then you kill drac because he’s a piece of sh*t and Deeds is kinda cool?” After pausing to stare at him for a few seconds, the enemy Pathfinder eventually nodded and allowed Nick to res his mate. “What the f*ck, you f*cking b*tch. Yo, f*ck that Pathfinder,” shouted drac. Instead of offering support, Nick began to laugh, much to the delight of his newfound friends. However, the hacker alliance didn’t last long after both Nick and Deeds attempted to res their downed comrade. Pathfinder caught wind of the streamer’s plan and quickly eliminated him before he could even react. “Nooooo, I’m sorry Kevin! Kevin, I shouldn’t have done it. Kevin’s p*ssed man, Kevin’s never going to be cool, man.” Despite having his game ruined by a team of hackers, Nick seemed in good spirits and instead chose to look at the comical side. Hopefully, Respawn can crackdown on the game’s cheaters, but for now, it’s best to simply report any suspicious in-game behavior to help ban those that use cheats.

NICKMERCS explains why Valkyrie is still meta despite big nerf in Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why Valkyrie is still meta despite big nerf in Apex Legends NICKMERCS/RespawnStreaming star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff believes Valkyrie will still be meta in Apex Legends Season 14 despite being hit with a pretty signifcant nerf. Over the last couple of months, no Legend has caused more headaches for Apex Legends fans than Valkyrie. The Winged Avenger has skyrocketed to the top of the pick rate charts and become a must-use in every format of the battle royale. That dominance has led to plenty of calls from the community for her to be nerfed, especially when it comes to her Skyward Dive Ultimate – seeing as players can use it to get a free rotation during matches. With Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted, players who have called for a nerf have finally gotten their wish, but NICKMERCS believes she’ll still be viable. NICKMERCS weighs in on Apex Legends Season 14 patch notes As the patch notes for the new Apex Legends season were revealed by Respawn, Nick gave them a thorough once over before giving his thoughts on the long-awaited changes to Valkyrie specifcially. “This is a much more chill nerf than I thought,” the FaZe Clan star said after going over the patch notes. “I thought it was going to be worse. She has still got beacon, which is f**king huge. That makes her still playable. “Listen, it is what it is, that makes her still playable. The fact that she has beacon, you don’t need another beacon character, you’re chilling. Her Ult did get nerfed, her Q got nerfed, and the jets got nerfed the most it seems like,” he added. Some of his viewers quickly suggested that the changes were a “RIP” moment for Valkyrie, and that Seer could be more viable as the beacon-specific part of a trio. As Season 14 unfolds, we’ll see just how big of an impact the nerf has on her pick rate, and whether or not Valk remains viable. Though, we suspect you’ll still be seeing a lot of her.

NICKMERCS explains why new Control mode is perfect for Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why new Control mode is perfect for Apex Legends NICKMERCS/RespawnTwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has given his first thoughts on Apex Legends’ new Control mode, and it seems he’s a fan of Respawn’s work. The arrival of Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance is right around the corner, with Respawn Entertainment bringing the long-awaited Mad Maggie to the party as a new character, as well as some other pretty big changes. On top of the brand-new legend, the previously leaked Control mode – which works similar to Call of Duty’s Domination mode – will also be added to the mix, giving players the chance to dive into some frenetic gameplay without having to worry about being the last team standing. A handful of content creators have already gotten their hands on the new mode for some early tests, and that includes NICKMERCS who appears to be a fan of what Respawn are bringing to the table. The FaZe Clan star joined some other Apex Legends creators in the February 4th playtest, as he showed off his skills as the new legend, as well as playing Control. During one of his first few matches, one fan quipped that the mode looked “fun,” which gave Nick a chance to give his first impressions on things. “This is by far an LTM that makes sense. It’s something very very different, also something very popular in other games, but not on Apex,” Nick said. “So, it’s definitely something they needed. Pace is crazy, I won’t lie to you.” As Nick notes, the 9-vs-9 mode is only around for a limited time – it won’t be like Arenas where it is a permanent aside to the normal battle royale mode. So, expect players to jump into as soon as Season 12 launches. Who knows, if it is popular enough, it might even stick around for a little longer than planned.

NICKMERCS explains why it took him so long to get hooked on Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why it took him so long to get hooked on Apex Legends Respawn / Twitch: NICKMERCSFaZe Clan streamer NICKMERCS has explained why it took him so long to become addicted to Apex Legends, despite always enjoying Respawn’s battle royale. While NICKMERCS became known to millions of Twitch viewers because of his Fortnite talents, he has maintained his audience thanks to his talents in Warzone and, recently, Apex Legends. Since transitioning to Respawn’s battle royale a few months back, Nick has not looked back and continues to draw in thousands of viewers with his streaming charisma and impressive gameplay. So impressive, in fact, that he reached Apex Predator rank. However, it wasn’t an easy or quick transition for the former 100 Thieves man, as he explained during a November 26 live stream. Nick highlighted his early streams as of very poor quality, even describing himself as a “trashcan” on Apex. It was only after weeks of grinding to improve that he found himself enjoying the BR more and more. “Bro when this game came out I was so bad at Apex,” he said. “You can ask my chat… I would explain Apex to people like it was the one shooter that I played that I wasn’t great at. “All the other shooters, it takes me a matter of time and I got it, but this one I just couldn’t.” He continued: “Then, finally, I came back and tried it again and I got hooked. Thank God man too. I don’t know why – it’s maybe just harder to get good at. Yeah [there is a big learning curve]. I used to have sponsored streams and I’d be so bad.” It is certainly true that Apex’s learning curve is steeper than other games like Call of Duty. Its unique movement system and Legend abilities mean there’s plenty for new players to come to terms with but, once they have, there’s also so much to enjoy. That’s ultimately why Nick has stuck around, despite his struggles to acclimate at first.

NICKMERCS explains why he wants smaller Apex Legends streamer for ALGS trio – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why he wants smaller Apex Legends streamer for ALGS trio Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained his reasoning for wanting a smaller Apex Legends streamer as part of his ALGS trio, suggesting they’ll be hungrier for success than a creator with a massive following. Despite calls from many of his followers to make a permanent transition back to Call of Duty and Warzone, streamer NICKMERCS has stuck with Apex Legends for months on end. His commitment to the game has seen him reach the prestigious rank of Apex Predator and, more recently, seen him signal his intent to compete in Apex Legends tournaments, including in the official Apex Legends Global Series esports environment. We’ve also had explanations from Snip3down as to why the pair haven’t been able to form an ALGS team, with Nick now indicating he wants to get a smaller creator on board. Speaking on his stream (and then uploaded in a March 11 YouTube video) the former CoD competitor explained: “The guy he’s playing with is a potential third for ALGS. Apparently, his teammates don’t wanna play anymore, or some sh*t. And they had an Apex pro league spot… It would be kinda cool to have that experience on the squad.” He went on to outline the potential benefits to having a player with less of a following, and someone who would be able to compliment him and current second teammate ItsDeeds: “I just really want somebody who just really wants to be here. Not anybody who’s like [in it for] conversation and sh*t. I need that real passion. That’s why it’s always kinda good to find people who are not big yet because they’re hungry.” People who already have large followings, communities, and experience as pros are less likely to have the unadulterated passion Nick wants in a teammate. Timestamp: 4:05 He finished with a slightly tongue-in-cheek comment, but also an explanation as to why he’s so set on ItsDeeds as his second: “You need passion… they don’t build them like me no more. You gotta find people who really really want it… I know Deeds wants it, I know it in my heart. We gotta find one more.” It remains to be seen who Nick and Deeds pick up as their third but, whoever joins the duo for ALGS, we’re extremely excited to see what they can achieve in the world of Apex esports.

NICKMERCS explains why he wants Horizon removed from Apex Legends Ranked completely – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why he wants Horizon removed from Apex Legends Ranked completely NICKMERCS/RespawnPopular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed why he wants Horizon banned from Apex Legends competitive, explaining his reasons for her removal. Apex Legends is home to a variety of unique characters, which give players plenty of choices when it comes to making their desired team comp. NICKMERCS is certainly no stranger to Apex Legends’ competitive scene and the popular streamer has now revealed which Legend he’d ban. While each pick has its own unique abilities and synergies, there are a number of reasons why certain characters receive a higher pick rate in the game. In fact, the combination of certain skills can give players a huge advantage over their foes, especially when coordinating with a team. However, NICKMERCS believes that Horizon should be removed completely from competitive play due to her “weird” and “inconsistent” kit. NICKMERCS wants Horizon removed from Apex Legends “I felt like a little kid playing Jumanji, getting sucked into the board game. I hate getting sucked in by Horizon, I can’t stand it. That’s the worst character in the video game,” explained Nick. Horizon currently has a 6% pick rate in Apex Legends, making her the 6th most popular pick in the game. This popularity is largely down to her deadly ultimate, which creates a micro-black hole that pulls all nearby players towards it. Timestamp of 0:12 When used in conjunction with other abilities, this ability can be absolutely devastating. While this ability can also have a negative impact on her team if used poorly, Nick believes Horizon is just too potent. Read More: Apex Legends players call for Legend reworks – “It’s horrible, it’s inconsistent, and it’s weird,” the streamer said. “It goes through walls, it’s just not it. It’s meta, she’s got to go – I hate her. Space momma has got to go, she’s got to get banned from competitive. She’s got a [ultimate] that sucks people through anything and [disrupts] teammates.” Whether Respawn will make any adjustments to Horizon remains to be seen, but for now, the Gravitational Manipulator remains a staple pick for many Apex Legends players.

NICKMERCS explains why he doesn’t need to quit Apex Legends for Warzone – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why he doesn’t need to quit Apex Legends for Warzone YT: NICKMERCS / Respawn / ActivisionYouTube and Twitch star NICKMERCS has explained why he doesn’t need to quit Apex Legends for Warzone on Twitch, despite some viewers growing tired of the Respawn battle royale. Despite making a name for himself in Call of Duty and Fortnite, it’s been a while since viewers of NICKMERCS have seen him playing either title. The FaZe Clan star has found himself playing Apex Legends almost exclusively, investing serious hours into Respawn’s battle royale and even reaching the prestigious rank of Apex Predator. However, despite his obvious affection for the game, a number of his viewers still want to see him play Warzone, a point they made during a recent stream. In response, though, the 31-year-old explained why he’ll be sticking with Apex Legends, even if is his average viewing figures are slightly down. “[I’ve] been streaming for 10 years man, I’ve never ever streamed a game because a viewer in my chat said stream that game,” he said. “Listen, understanding the view count ain’t 40k or 50k, that’s okay bro. I’m fine, we’re chilling. It’s about me having fun. If that pushes people away that pushes people away. I’m so okay with that.” He went on to explain that change is a part of life and, despite his talents and love for Warzone and CoD, he “hit a wall” with the game that pushed him towards Apex Legends. Timestamp – 0:15 When a viewer also suggested he would be financially hurting himself by sticking with Apex, Nick responded passionately and highlighted that he’s never played video games for money. “When I started to game it wasn’t about the money. Does the money help? Yeah for sure. But gaming for me is a passion, it’s not about money, it never was,” he said. “Am I making a lot of money [playing] Apex or Warzone? Yes. I don’t need no f**king Warzone to make money. With the community we have I’m pretty confident I could stream f**king me going to bed every night and I think I’d still make money… So whatever. It’s not about money.” The comments further cement NICKMERCS’ humility and his standing as one of the nicest guys on Twitch. We can expect to see him sticking with Apex Legends for some time yet.

NICKMERCS explains why he disagrees with ImperialHal’s “doomed” verdict for Apex Legends Season 15 – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why he disagrees with ImperialHal’s “doomed” verdict for Apex Legends Season 15 Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch streamer and ALGS competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has outlined his reasons for disagreeing with ImperialHal over Apex Legends Season 15, after the TSM pro said the battle royale could be “doomed” if Eclipse doesn’t live up to expectations. Apex Legends Season 15 is rapidly approaching, with fans of the Respawn battle royale gearing up for the involvement of Catalyst and the arrival of Broken Moon – a new interstellar map set on a moon of Boreas. Among those who appear most excited for the new season is NICKMERCS, a former Gears of War pro turned full-time streamer who has recently enjoyed a surprising transition into an Apex Legends competitor. He has already responded positively to Broken Moon but, in an October 25 YouTube video, delved deeper into his excitement. Specifically, he outlined why he disagrees with TSM pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen, who recently said the BR could be “doomed” if it doesn’t deliver on its promise. NICKMERCS disagrees with ImperialHal over Apex Legends Season 15 After watching the map reveal, Nick praised the Apex Legends devs and said that the map looks “beautiful” and has all the ingredients to play well, before turning his attention to those who have taken an opposite stance. “Hal was crying on Twitter,” he said, “talking about Apex being doomed and sh*t, I just don’t agree with any of it. I think that Apex has consistently shown, as long as I’ve been here, that they’re constantly trying to go in a good direction.” Timestamp of 3:15 Specifically, he outlined the regular innovation updates bring, saying: “They’re making good changes, adding Control, adding Gun Run, all the new characters that they’ve added, Storm Point being a brand new map for like a year now. Now they’re coming out with this new map. Games get stale, things get stale and it’s not always gonna be 100% popping but I don’t know, I see a lot of really good things.” Respawn have recently revealed that they scrapped a low-gravity gameplay idea on the Broken Moon map, reinforcing their willingness to innovate the game’s core mechanics. While some are worried about its future, Nick can only see good things coming to the acclaimed battle royale.

NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends is “more difficult” than Warzone – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends is “more difficult” than Warzone Twitch: NICKMERCS / RespawnMassively popular FaZe Clan streamer NICKMERCS has explained why Apex Legends is ‘more difficult’ than Warzone, having spent a considerable amount of time with Respawn’s battle royale. Fans of NICKMERCS’ Twitch streams have seen the FaZe Clan star transition from Call of Duty’s Warzone to Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends. Nick is not alone, with Warzone’s ongoing cheating problems forcing many of its major content creators to other titles. He has already been very vocal in his admiration of Apex Legends but, during an August 13 live stream, the 30-year-old turned his attention its learning curve, and explained why it’s a more challenging game to master than Warzone. “I’ve been playing Apex Legends for a week and a half,” he said. “Diamond four. I’ll say this, Apex Legends is more difficult than Warzone. It’s aiming and shooting just like Warzone, it’s positional just like Warzone, it’s awareness just like Warzone. All those things across the board…. But Apex has abilities. Super f**king abilities. And I think that’s a big caveat that you can’t ignore.” While the typical features of battle royales are in both games, the extra layers provided by character abilities and how they overlap means Apex is more difficult than Warzone. Not only must players account for enemies, but must consider how to use their legend’s abilities, and how opponents will use theirs against them. He finished: “The abilities, the timings, the possibilities are endless in Apex because of all the things you can do. Versus in Warzone, you get in a chopper, you get in a car. Good luck.” Many viewers echoed Nick’s assertions, suggesting that learning the way abilities and gadgets interact in Apex is also crucial to being a talented player. Whether Nick returns to Warzone remains to be seen, but the news that Raven are working on an anti-cheat will undoubtedly be welcome.

NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends has a brighter future than Warzone – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends has a brighter future than Warzone YT: NICKMERCS / Respawn / ActivisionApex Legends’ new map, Broken Moon, shattered NICKMERCS’ expectations, making him question Warzone 2’s future. Apex Legends Season 15 begins on November 1, introducing a new map for the first time since 2021. Respawn confirmed the new map, Broken Moon, plays closer to World’s Edge than Storm Point. Based on community feedback, the new environments’ POIs are much larger, and the new zip rails system makes it easier for teams to rotate. NICKMERCS was blown away by his first look at Broken Moon, and he praised Respawn for the map’s design. After watching another trailer, he claimed Apex Legends has a brighter future than Warzone. Is Warzone 2 destined to fail? NICKMERCS looked at all of Broken Moon’s POIs during his October 25 YouTube video. He concluded that the Warzone developers are not making the most of the tools they have at their disposal. The streamer argued, “with the graphics today and the engines, you can make these games so beautiful, but instead, they (Warzone developers) go back in time and put you in a trench and give you a pea shooter.” Warzone’s current map, Caldera, takes place during World War 2, which NICKMERCS is most likely referring to. While NICKMERCS blasted Caldera, he heaped Respawn with praise for its work on Broken Moon. “What an incredible job by the Apex devs, absolutely beautiful map. You have all of the ingredients in there for a great map.” Warzone 2 launches on November 16, and NICKMERCS had the opportunity to playtest the game’s new map Al Mazrah at CoD NEXT. “Warzone’s been horrible for years, and the future is not looking bright. Look at the game coming out. It looks really bad, and it looks like they don’t know what they are doing.” In contrast, Nick believes, “Apex has consistently shown they are constantly trying to go in a good direction and making good changes.” Apex Legends and Warzone 2 are direct competitors, and November will be a very revealing month for the future of both franchises. Broken Moon and Al Mazrah offer vastly different experiences.

NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends doesn’t need Warzone-style sequel – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains why Apex Legends doesn’t need Warzone-style sequel Respawn/EANICKMERCS played Warzone 2 early and enjoyed it, but he doesn’t believe Apex Legends needs a sequel. At Call of Duty Next, over 100 content creators got their hands on Warzone 2 for the first time. The highly anticipated battle royale sequel polarized community members because of the addition of AI implementation, removal of loadouts, and the new Gulag. NICKMERCS liked the game but credited his feelings to the “honeymoon phase.” The streamer doubts any significant changes will be made before Warzone 2’s official release. EA claimed 2022 is “the biggest year yet,” for Apex Legends, and on August 10, Apex Legends hit a peak player count of 510,286 on Steam only. NICKMERCS praised Apex’s recent success and argued the battle royale doesn’t need a sequel like Warzone. NICKMERCS praises Apex Legend’s succes A chat member said Apex 2 would be insane, but NICMERCS disagreed. He argued, “I don’t think we need an Apex 2; that’s not what battle royales are. Battle royales need consistent updates.” NICKMERCS continued, “I think Apex has done a great job over the last year and a half. This new map they put out was awesome; many of the new characters and stuff are awesome, and they made some quality of life changes.” Apex Legends Season 14 added a new Legend, Vantage, reworked Kings Canyon, and seriously changed up the game’s meta. The battle royale follows a similar formula to Fortnite, regularly updating the game with seasonal updates. Looking back on his most significant decisions, NICKMERCS believed he made the right choice, shifting from CoD to Apex. “I am so happy I am not stuck on CoD. That was a great decision. When I reflect on all my decisions, it was a great decision to jump ship and play Apex.”

NICKMERCS explains the main reason Apex Legends is more fun than Warzone – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains the main reason Apex Legends is more fun than Warzone NICKMERCS / Respawn EntertainmentAfter his recent departure from Warzone, Call of Duty streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why he prefers Apex Legends. Warzone’s hacking problem continues to worsen with every new update, which has led to a large exodus of players leaving the game completely. One of those players is none other than NICKMERCS – one of the most popular Call of Duty Twitch streamers. Nick has always been keen to voice his frustrations over the current state of Warzone, but fans were ultimately surprised by his departure from the game. For now, it seems Apex Legends is the streamer’s new gaming passion and Nick has been busy grinding ranked with TimTheTatman and Cloakzy. Apex Legends is filled with high octane gunfights and rewards good team synergy, which makes it the perfect game for streamers looking to flex their skills. While it still may be early days for Nick’s Apex career, the streamer has given his thoughts on Respawn’s hit battle royale. NICKMERCS on Apex Legends vs Warzone “It’s not that anything over at Apex is new and crazy,” said Nick. “I think the biggest comparison you can make is when you’re playing Warzone, you’re going for high kills. There are no ranked matches, there’s no arena, there’s nothing to grind for.” Warzone players have wanted a ranked mode since the game’s release, but Activision has remained stalwart on their stance to SBMM in normal modes. This is in direct contrast to Apex Legends, where players can prove their skills in the game’s ranked divisions. In fact, the only thing Warzone has going for it in regards to ranked play are tournament matches, but even these continually get ruined by certain players. “You can play the wagers and the tournaments, but it’s just infested with cheaters and losers,” says Nick. “Hackers ruin all of that either way.” Timestamp of 0:33 While Apex Legend’s ranked mode also features cheaters at the highest levels of play, the hacking issue doesn’t seem to be as prevalent. Respawn also appears to be more active in their dealings with players that ruin the in-game experience for others. Read More: NICKMERCS claims Warzone devs “don’t care” – “Apex Legends ranked mode is top tier, I’ve been having so much fun playing in that,” explained Nick. “I think it’s a really good assessment as to where you’re at in the game…I feel like it has me more locked than I’ve been in years. I have something to grind for, I’m passionate about being competitive.” Whether Nick will return to Warzone in Season 5 remains to be seen, but for now, it seems the streamer is happy to carve out a path in Apex Legends’ ranked mode.

NICKMERCS explains most important aspect of Apex Legends and it’s not abilities – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains most important aspect of Apex Legends and it’s not abilities Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: NICKMERCSPopular Twitch streamer turned ALGS competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why he thinks gun skill is more important than Legend abilities in Apex Legends. NICKMERCS’ recent transition from Twitch streamer to Apex Legends Global Series competitor has been nothing short of spectacular, with the former Gears of War pro more than holding his own among the very best Apex players in the world. He’s frequently shared tips for other players to improve rapidly at Apex Legends, encouraging players to play as fast as possible even if it means wins won’t be guaranteed. Now, in a June 9 YouTube video, NICKMERCS has outlined why he thinks gun skill is more important to players than Legend abilities in Respawn’s battle royale. When using Wraith, a number of viewers commented that Nick wasn’t actually wedded to using her abilities in matches, despite the well-known strengths her Dimensional Rift Ultimate brings with it. Explaining, Nick said that he believes gun skill is the most important skill to master in Apex, with a complete understanding of when and how to use Legend abilities secondary. “You barely use her kit?” he read. “I mean, true, I’m not gonna argue that. That’s what I’m tryna tell you guys. Kit and abilities and stuff like that are definitely important but the more important thing I think in this game is just shooting your f**king gun. Take the gunfight. A lot of us come from CoD, Gears of War, Halo – just shoot man.” Timestamp: 8:50 He continued: “People get caught up in the kits. That’s kinda what I’m saying. Right, whereas if you have good gun skill… put all your eggs in that basket and you’ll learn the players over time. You just gotta play.” It certainly fits with his earlier advice to play as aggressively as possible. Combine that with strong gun skill and you’ll undoubtedly improve, even if your complete knowledge of when and how to use Legends may lag behind slightly. After all, it’s worked for NICKMERCS.

NICKMERCS explains decision to compete in Apex Legends’ ALGS: “It’s my purpose” – Dexerto
NICKMERCS explains decision to compete in Apex Legends’ ALGS: “It’s my purpose” Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch streamer and Apex Legends Global Series competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why he made the decision to compete in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale. Many members of the video game community probably know NICKMERCS as a content creator and streamer, and not as an esports competitor. Since a move away from Fortnite, he has been a content creator first and foremost, with occasional attempts at creator tournaments. That may be about to change, though, with him recently confirming he would be competing in the Apex Legends Global Series – the official esports environment for Respawn and EA’s battle royale. Nick and the other members of his trio experienced a successful first day in the ALGS and, upon its conclusion, he shed more light on why he chose to return to esports and why he loves competing so much. “We did good,” he said. “Hey, guys listen! I always say one of my favorite things in the world is to compete in these games. It lights me up. It’s my purpose. I grew addicted and fell in love with it at a very young age and now it’s a part of me. I need to be doing this stuff. It’s very healthy for me it’s very good for me.” He finished to say that the experience was different with 50,000 Twitch viewers celebrating the successes, as well as thanking all viewers for their support. It was certainly a promising start for the streamer, who has taken to Apex Legends as well as he did Gears of War, Call of Duty and Fortnite. Knowing Nick, though, he won’t be satisfied until he’s amongst the very best. We’ll be watching if he does.

NICKMERCS doubles down on Warzone criticism & pledges to “immaculate” Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS doubles down on Warzone criticism & pledges to “immaculate” Apex Legends Activision / Twitch: NICKMERCSPopular Twitch streamer and Apex Legends competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has doubled down on his Warzone criticism after quotes of his were circulated in the gaming community. NICKMERCS’ recent transition from Twitch streamer to Apex Legends Global Series competitor has caught many in the gaming community off guard. It was one thing to drop Call of Duty in favor of Apex Legends, but another altogether to hit a pro standard in Respawn’s battle royale. Despite the success of his switch, plenty of fans have been critical of Nick for changing titles and want him to return to Call of Duty. The streamer, though, is standing firm and refusing to return to Warzone anytime soon. In fact, recent streams have seen him harden his criticism of the CoD BR, stating that it is massively inferior to Apex in its current build. He also hit out at fans still complaining about his choice of game and, in a May 20 tweet, he doubled down on his position. Recent quotes from a stream were tweeted by Barstool. Nick said: “Warzone is in f**king shambles. Fortnite is on fire, Apex is immaculate. If you’re playing Warzone right now, you need to get a f**king grip.” With plenty of folks introduced to his thoughts for the first time, Nick replied to double down on his position and explain why his words were so critical. He responded: “Context is definitely important. The boy gets pressed to play Warzone almost everyday, so this was in response to all that. Regardless, stand by what I said.” Context is definitely important. The boy gets pressed to play Warzone almost everyday, so this was in response to all that. Regardless, stand by what I said 🔥 — FaZe Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) May 20, 2022 He has indeed been pressed particularly hard by Warzone fans to make a full-time return to the game but, clearly unhappy with its current state, it seems increasingly unlikely. Compare that to the “immaculate” Apex Legends, and it seems like Twitch viewers will just have to accept that he’s sticking with Respawn’s BR.

NICKMERCS defends EA after Apex Legends community criticisms – Dexerto
NICKMERCS defends EA after Apex Legends community criticisms Respawn Entertainment / Scuf Gaming: NickmercsStreamer and Apex Legends content creator NICKMERCS has defended EA and Respawn’s development efforts following community criticism. Apex Legends Season 15 is finally here and players can finally experience everything the new season has to offer. However, some members of the community have complained about some of EA’s decisions surrounding the battle royale, like the inclusion of cosmetic stickers and the lack of involvement in banning cheaters. Now, Apex Legends streamer NICKMERCS has come to EA’s defense, claiming that the company is “trying” to steer the battle royale in the right direction. NICKMERCS defends Apex Legends publisher EA In his recent YouTube video titled “Finally Being Honest About Gaming” NICKMERCS took the time to address what he thinks about the Apex communities complaints about the current state of the game. NICKMERCS said he “understands” why pro players and fans are upset when their long-held complaints aren’t met at the start of each new season. However, he defended EA and Respawn by reminding viewers the company has continuously provided new content. “On the other hand, [players] are getting new maps and they’re getting all this new stuff — a lot of these things they haven’t asked for but they’re still getting new sh*t.” He then went on to say that the community can clearly see that “EA is trying,” and brought up the example of EA’s efforts in the competitive Apex Legends scene. The Apex streamer also reminded fans that it’s also a “give-and-take” and that the majority of the criticism levied at EA comes down to “Ah, [Apex] is dogsh*t,” which he deems is not real criticism. Additionally, he defended Respawn’s creative work as of late and said a lot of them are “working hard,” as evidenced by the recent Broken Moon map, new cosmetics, and character lore. At the same time, NICKMERCS acknowledged that some of the community’s complaints have been valid and that EA has failed to address them for some time, citing Respawn’s lack of manpower when it comes to banning cheaters. “How do they not have a team on payroll around the clock just working to try and combat [cheating?] There should be a whole wing of the company for anti-cheat. It’s just they don’t care enough.” NICKMERCS ended the discussion by reaffirming that while there are some valid complaints he believes quality updates like Season 15’s content matter at the end of the day.

NICKMERCS loses it as “cracked” Apex Legends hacker carries him in ranked – Dexerto
NICKMERCS loses it as “cracked” Apex Legends hacker carries him in ranked Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has already experienced the worst when it comes to Apex Legends hackers. Now, he’s been taken on the wild ride after one “cracked” cheater carried him in ranked — and he was “ready to reap the benefits”. The higher you go on the Apex Legends ladder, the more likely you are to encounter cheaters. Wall hacks, aim hacks, speed hacks — or any mix of the three — Predator lobbies have been dominated by them for years. NICKMERCS might be a fresh face in the community, but he’s already seen his fair share of cheats. Most of the time, he’s been on the receiving end. This time though, he was sitting back, getting “carried” by a cheater. After dropping on Climatizer — with seemingly every other squad in the game — NICKMERCS and his duo 72hrs got rinsed. Not their random teammate though, who was beaming enemies through the first fight and got out alive. “Our teammate is f**king cracked. He’s not cheating right? He’s good? That’s the first question from chat,” he said. After racking up Wingman headshot after headshot though, and even shooting enemies without seeing them, NICKMERCS soon realized he had queued with a hacker. “I see white like f**king Gandolfs coming out of the forest. This guy is f**king cheating chat I don’t give a f**k. I’m on his team, chat, and I’m ready to reap the benefits. I put my #TimeIn.” He even called out Respawn developer Hideouts, who can live ban players who cheat on big name streams and Predator lobbies, asking him to avert his eyes for just 10 minutes so Nick could get his sweet, sweet RP. “Hideouts, shut the f**k up. Nothing’s concrete yet. Go to the grocery store, you need bread or something. Hideouts is at the grocery store everybody so there’s officially no anti-cheat in Apex.” NICKMERCS and 72hrs even joked their random was “Jack [CouRage] on an alt account”, but sadly, all ‘good’ things must come to an end. After getting caught out on a rotate NICKMERCS’ squad fell in fourth with eight kills across the board. Not only that, but the cheater had found his way into Hideouts’ death note, getting banned immediately after the game. Nick is certainly enjoying the little hit of RP, but he said he wouldn’t want to queue with that cheater — or any other — in the future. In his words, they’re just “twisted”.

NICKMERCS claims Catalyst is “horrible” in Apex Legends Season 15 – Dexerto
NICKMERCS claims Catalyst is “horrible” in Apex Legends Season 15 Respawn / Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch streamer and ALGS competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has described Season 15 Legend Catalyst as “horrible”, claiming her abilities actually hinder teammates in Apex Legends. After weeks of anticipation, Apex Legends Season 15 is finally here. While the typical Legend buffs and nerfs were noticeably absent, Catalyst dropped alongside the Broken Moon map. As well as becoming the game’s first female transgender legend, the Defensive Conjurer brought the mysterious Ferro Fluid into the Apex Games. The black liquid forms part of all her abilities, no more than her Ultimate which allows her to conjure a wall of Ferro Fluid to block lines of sight and slow opponents. However, ALGS competitor NICKMERCS has described her abilities as “horrible” and questioned whether she will make a meaningful impact to the game’s meta. NICKMERCS thinks Catalyst’s abilities are “horrible” Speaking on a November 1 Twitch stream, the former Gears of War pro offered his early thoughts on Catalyst. “Have you tried Catalyst yet? Yeah she’s horrible,” he said. “She’s horrible, man. The ult, it screws over your teammates too you know? The Q [tactical] is harder to hit than people think. So it’s cool it does damage and it slows them but it’s just harder to place. And then her passive with doors, I feel like it’s only good if you’re playing competitive. I don’t really know if it’s good for Ranked, it’s probably horrible for Ranked actually.” Catalyst’s Ultimate, known as Dark Veil, conjures a wall of Ferro Fluid to hinder opponents and block areas of the map. However, Nick believes it’s just as frustrating for Catalyst’s teammates as it is for everyone else. Nick then delved deeper on how she might affect the competitive meta, suggesting she’ll struggle to oust any established picks in pro Apex Legends. He did admit that he might be wrong though, especially given how Season 10’s Seer was initially dismissed only to become a guaranteed pick because of his in-game strength. He finished: “You see her having a role in comp? She could definitely have a role in comp but I don’t see it right now. I don’t see what character you’re gonna replace. I think they’re already set. I mean you could throw that ult endgame and you could block off a whole section of the endzone. It’s kinda cool. But I don’t know if it’ll be it. I think you’re sleeping on her. Could be. Everyone was sleeping on Seer.” It will certainly be interesting to see how Catalyst develops and fits into Apex’s meta and those all-telling pick-rates.

NICKMERCS claims Ash means Wraith is “no more” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS claims Ash means Wraith is “no more” in Apex Legends Twitch: NICKMERCS / RespawnFaZe Clan content creator and Twitch streamer NICKMERCS has shared his concerns for Wraith ahead of Ash’s addition to Apex Legends in Season 11: Escape. Details regarding Apex Legends Season 11 are finally widespread – confirming the addition of Ash and major buffs to Static Defender Wattson. Plenty of debate has surrounded Ash’s abilities since they were confirmed by Respawn. Her Passive, called Marked For Death, allows her to interact with recently dropped death boxes on the map to reveal the location of the killing team. Her Tactical, called Arc Snare, allows her to throw a spinning snare that damages and tethers the first enemy that gets too close. Finally, her Ultimate is called Phase Breach. This sees her open a portal that can be phased through but, unlike Wraith, can be opened upwards to gain access to elevated positions. Upon seeing these abilities in his October 29 live stream, NICKMERCS immediately voiced his concerns for Wraith, suggesting that she will be “no more” when Ash drops in-game. “This is the new character?” he said. “Woah. Woah. So you can like aim up… this is her Ult I’m assuming. Holy sh*t. Holy sh*t. Yo, that’s crazy. Oh, it’s like a Wraith port? Then she’s no more.” Plenty of Apex Legends players have compared Ash to Wraith and Octane before, with many suggesting their pick-rates could drop considerably as a result of her joining the Apex Games. He elaborated on his thoughts, commenting that he thinks an early nerf for Ash could be on the cards. “I love it, I love it!” he said about Ash’s abilities. “Yeah [she’ll get nerfed]. It’s the way of it. Remember when Seer came out, he was broken as f**k.” It remains to be seen how balanced Ash is when she drops, but it is likely that she’ll see some adjustments depending on player feedback and the data Respawn accumulates. There’s plenty of other content to look forward to, including the new bright and tropical Storm Point map.

NICKMERCS claims Apex Legends is much more competitive than Warzone 2 – Dexerto
NICKMERCS claims Apex Legends is much more competitive than Warzone 2 IG: NICKMERCS / RespawnTwitch streamer and ALGS competitor Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has outlined why he thinks Apex Legends is more competitive than Warzone 2, explaining why he’s set to continue competing in the former. NICKMERCS’ transition from CoD streamer to Apex Legends Global Series competitor has been seriously impressive. It’s arguably made all the more admirable by his stints competing in Fortnite and Gears of War, demonstrating his versatility and inherent talent for video games of all varieties. Recent streams have seen him dive into Warzone 2.0, marking a slight deviation from his previous steadfast commitment to Apex Legends only. However, he has now explained why he won’t swap competing in Respawn’s BR for competing in Infinity Ward’s. NICKMERCS can’t see himself competing in Warzone 2 In a January 19 livestream, the MFAM founder delved into why he’s set to stick with pro Apex Legends, rather than competing in Warzone 2. Asked by a viewer whether he has more fun on Apex or CoD, he replied: “Both. Just different kinds, you know. I like competing and I really don’t think Warzone is a game to compete in. I don’t see it happening, especially for me. I don’t even think it’s a skill issue or anything. I tried it in the first one and it got to a point where you just couldn’t do it.” He went on to explain that there were specific issues with players in Warzone lobbies, something Apex doesn’t suffer from to the same degree. He did, though, state that Warzone 2 is fun to play casually. “Unless it was a private [Warzone] lobby and even then there were so many smelly little creatures,” he continued. “I think Apex is great for BR competitive. In fact, I think Apex has a great thing going. Warzone 2 is smelly in general? It is man, it is. It’s fun playing with the boys.” In short, ALGS fans can look forward to having Nick light up their scene for the foreseeable future, even if questions continue to arise over Apex Legends as an esport.

NICKMERCS calls for Warzone to follow Apex Legends crackdown on Strike Packs – Dexerto
NICKMERCS calls for Warzone to follow Apex Legends crackdown on Strike Packs YouTube: NICKMERCS/Sony/RespawnStreaming star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff wants Warzone and other games to follow Apex Legends in getting rid of Strikepacks and other “weird” little hacks. Cheating in multiplayer games is a tale as old as time. Everyone wants to get a leg up on their opponents to the point where some go too far and start using third-party hacks to take them down. A rise of hacking in Warzone has prompted some players to give up on the battle royale and go elsewhere – mainly to Apex Legends. However, Respawn’s game isn’t totally perfect either. There are still plenty of aimbotters and wall hackers in the Outlands. Aside from those obvious cheats, there are also Strikepacks and different controller add-ons that allow players to get an advantage on shooting and movement. As a result, Respawn have made it so these aren’t to be used in competitive play moving forward, and NICKMERCS sees it as an example to follow. The FaZe Clan star has, like many fellow players, pleaded with developers to root out hackers – using his platform to shine a light on some outlandish cheats. He believes the Strikepack ban is “huge news” for players, but maybe even bigger from a developer’s point of view. “There are people you probably think are great, but they’re lowkey cheating man!” Nick said. “I’m kind of excited to see where this thing goes,” he continued. “I don’t know if it’s going to get adopted over there on Call of Duty or spread like wildfire, but I hope we can play together online and have a way to detect these weird cheats and weird third-party attachments so they’re banned and not in the playing field. That’d be awesome.” Nick also notes that the move from Respawn is a “big W” for competitive players, and it would be even more so if others followed suit. As we’ve seen countless times, it is difficult to totally crackdown on cheaters and hacks just because, well, if someone wants to cheat, they will. But, there are some positive moves being made.

NICKMERCS calls for Revenant nerf in Apex Legends after Ranked loss – Dexerto
NICKMERCS calls for Revenant nerf in Apex Legends after Ranked loss FaZe Clan/Respawn EntertainmentNICKMERCS has called for a Revenant nerf in Apex Legends, as his switch over from Warzone has found him becoming increasingly frustrated with the “broken” Legend. Nick started playing Apex around the time that Season 10 launched, immediately falling in love with the game after months of grinding on Warzone. He’s been trying to work his way up to Apex Predator, spending hours upon hours in Ranked perfecting his craft, but in doing so he’s really grown to despise Revenant. The Synthetic Nightmare was introduced to the Apex Games in Season 4 and has undergone various balancing changes since — but Nick wants to see more be done. He’s clearly become very good at the game, but in a video posted on September 2, NICKMERCS suffered a frustrating loss at the hands of a perfectly executed Revenant ultimate, and he wasn’t happy about it. “The character Rev in Apex Legends, man…” he said, clearly annoyed. “He’s OP. Way too OP.” The Twitch streamer continued: “This guy is definitely, definitely broken. I don’t know what the fix is. I see a lot of Apex guys complaining about this character. I think that if you use Rev you’re a little chicken.” Nick isn’t the first to complain about Revenant, and he certainly won’t be the last. The Death Totem ult has been a common source of complaints among Apex players. The character did get a slight nerf with the launch of Season 10, including a visual and audio cue when his Death Totem protection is about to end, and a brief slow after being recalled to the Death Totem. Clearly, that wasn’t enough for Nick and many of his Apex peers. Whether we see more Revenant nerfs down the line, though, is entirely dependent on whether the dev team at Respawn thinks it’s necessary.

NICKMERCS calls for major change to Apex Legends ranked play – Dexerto
NICKMERCS calls for major change to Apex Legends ranked play NICKMERCS / RespawnPopular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why he thinks Apex Legends’ ranked mode needs to change. Apex Legends’ ranked mode is incredibly competitive. Not only does it allow players to flex their skills over the game’s best players, but it also enables you to face off against similarly ranked players. While the mode isn’t free from problems, the competitive aspect of the game continues to draw in players from all over the world. One player that has been infatuated with Apex Legends’ ranked matches is NICKMERCS. In fact, the popular streamer has been busy grinding out matches with the hopes of getting to the lofty heights of the Predator rank. However, during a recent stream, Nick highlighted one major change he’d like to see added to the competitive mode. NICKMERCS on Apex Legends ranked mode While it can be tricky to climb up Apex Legends’ ranked ladder, your ranking cannot drop from one tier to another. Once you successfully make it to one tier, you’ll not be demoted the rank below. This essentially means you can lose matches with the safety of knowing your rank will never decay. “I think this game has one of the best ranked modes ever created,” said Nick. I think it’s actually perfect, aside from one thing. I don’t believe in the ranked protection. You should be able to lose and drop out of ranks.” In its current state, there’s nothing really stopping players from either trolling or just going on a huge losing streak. It’s this overall safety that Nick believes is stopping the mode from being as competitive as it can be. “I think that [ranked protection] promotes careless gameplay because you know that no matter what, you have this net that you can’t go under,” said Nick. “Though I love to play crazy and get loose, I still don’t think it should be in the game. It kind of hurts the game in some ways.” Aside from this small change, Nick believes that Apex Legends’ ranked system is pretty much perfect. Whether Respawn will make adjustments to the mode remains to be seen, but for now, there’s nothing stopping players from comfortably grinding tiers.

NICKMERCS blown away by Apex Legends Broken Moon map for Season 15 – Dexerto
NICKMERCS blown away by Apex Legends Broken Moon map for Season 15 Respawn/EATwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is eager to get stuck into Apex Legends’ new Broken Moon map, saying Respawn have made some parts look “un-f**king-real.” When a new season of Apex Legends rolls around, players can hang their hat on a few things definitely coming – a new legend, changes to the current roster, new cosmetics, and more. Every few seasons, though, Respawn also introduces bigger things like new weapons and, at times, new maps. So far, the futuristic battle royale has had three maps – Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus – but it’ll soon have a fourth in the form of Broken Moon. The map is the home of Season 15’s character, Catalyst, and is more like World’s Edge than Storm Point in terms of size. That, for NICKMERCS, is reason enough to be excited. NICKMERCS blown away by Apex Legends Broken Moon map With the gameplay trailer for the new season dropping on October 24, Nick gave it a thorough watch during his stream, and couldn’t help but praise Respawn for how it looked. “Love the map, love the look of it,” the FaZe Clan member said on his first watch. He went back and covered the trailer in a bit more detail with another watch, constantly talking about how good the new map looks. “Oh dude, I love when they make maps like jungle-y. When something looks like the Halo campaign, I’m all in. I’m f**king, absolutely, 100% all in when they design maps that look like it would fit well in a Halo campaign. I love that man,” he added. Some of the new POIs immediately jumped out to the streaming star, who was also full of praise for the new zipline system. “Every slide that we’ve seen, you can see a big ass weird new zipline. So, the mobility on this map is going to be un-f**king-real,” he continued. As is tradition with new Apex seasons, the new map will dominate the rotation for a period of time before some of the older ones are brought back. So, players will have plenty of time to get used to their new surroundings.

NICKMERCS blasts critics claiming he “doesn’t belong” in Apex Legends pro scene – Dexerto
NICKMERCS blasts critics claiming he “doesn’t belong” in Apex Legends pro scene NICKMERCS/RespawnTwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has hit back at critics claiming he “doesn’t belong” in Apex Legends’ pro scene amid comparisons between himself and teams like TSM. While a number of esports have gone down the route of franchise models, Apex Legends’ competitive scene is set up so that, theoretically, a trio of upstarts can rub shoulders with the best players in the world. After getting to Apex Predator rank a few seasons back, NICKMERCS started competing in challenger tournaments to try and earn a spot amongst the cream of the crop. It took a few tries, but his Tripods team eventually made it and are now competing in the North American side of ALGS play. Given that he’s a massive streamer and sometimes moves on to play other games, the FaZe Clan star has been criticized by a few players and viewers as not having the skill to compete at the top level. Though, he’s not overly fussed by those thoughts. NICKMERCS fires back at critics claiming he should “quit” Apex Legends pro league It was something that was brought up during a recent stream when one viewer urged Nick to “quit” playing Apex as he’s “not built” for the competitive level. He couldn’t let that stand. “You’re telling a guy that has been pro in 3-4 different titles that he doesn’t belong. Listen, I might not be the best, ok fine, but what? You’ve got to be out of your f*cking mind if you really think that,” Nick fired back. “I know that I’m not as good as a lot of people in Pro League, I definitely know that, but I have said plenty of times that skill is not the only thing that gets you there. I think that what I lack in skill I make up for in a lot of other areas. Work ethic, energy, communication, strategy, positioning, decisions, so yeah. “There’s no confusion or question as to why I’m doing 12-hour days on Apex, I’m trying to get better. I definitely know that the skill is not there and we’re working on it every day, that’s what you do, but you acting like I have this understanding that I don’t belong is f*cking crazy. You’re crazy.” The Twitch star noted that comparisons between himself and squads like TSM and NRG are off base, given that those types of teams have been competing for years anyway. Just the fact that he’s made it into Pro League and has been competitive should be enough to shut down plenty of criticisms, never mind the fact that plenty of pros have also tipped their cap to his skills.

NICKMERCS says hackers in games like CoD & Apex Legends should be sent to jail – Dexerto
NICKMERCS says hackers in games like CoD & Apex Legends should be sent to jail Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has claimed that players who use hacking software in video games should be punished with jail time when caught out. Hacking has become a huge problem in online games, especially in competitive shooter games or battle royale titles such as Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and more. Despite developers’ best efforts to create anti-cheat software that can weed these cheaters out, they’re never perfect, and hackers still thrive with updated programs that keep them able to see players through walls or automatically lock on to others, completely ruining the game for their opponents. With bans not always being completely efficient, and cheaters able to return in some capacity be it with a new account, new hardware, or something else, NICKMERCS thinks more drastic measures need to be taken. “If you cheat & hack in video games, you should 100% be sent to jail,” he said. “I know the majority of y’all are busy touching grass & sh*t, that’s lit, super happy for ya. But your boy just spent 20 hours getting hacked on in online video games & I’ve had enough.” Obviously, the post garnered a lot of attention, with people either agreeing that such measures should be taken, or laughing at the prospect of someone being jailed for cheating in a video game. Fellow Apex Legends star iiTzTimmy came up with a more lenient solution, saying that players should have a profile attached to every game they play, and if they get caught hacking in one they’re punished across the board because it goes on their gaming record. I personally think we should have a gaming profile that you have to link to every game. One per user and you can’t make another. If you cheat, then its on your gaming record and gg. — 100T iiTzTimmy (@iiTzTimmy) April 5, 2023 There’s clearly an appetite for better punishment for cheaters, but it’s easier said than done to come up with a fair, permanent solution. This post from Nick came just hours after Activision revealed a major update to their Ricochet anti-cheat software in Call of Duty in an attempt to crack down on Cronus users, a move that many Apex Legends players immediately called for Respawn to emulate.

NICKMERCS returns to Apex Legends despite claiming the community “despises” him – Dexerto
NICKMERCS returns to Apex Legends despite claiming the community “despises” him EA, NICKMERCSMonths after exiting Apex Legends’ competitive scene, streamer NICKMERCS has returned to the multiplayer shooter. Popular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff went pro in 2022 upon joining the North American ALGS Pro League. Such a turn happened just months after he began taking the game more seriously in the fall of 2021. However, he did not remain an ALGS pro for very long. NICKMERCS left the league in early 2024, announcing his return to Call of Duty and slamming the “corny” Apex community on his way out the door, claiming that other pros and prominent players in the scene “despise” him. In yet another shocking turn of events, the content creator rejoined the Apex Legends space on September 3, 2024 by streaming the game on Twitch. “We’re back,” he wrote in a social media post announcing the broadcast. NICKMERCS’ comeback to the Apex Legends grind follows on the heels of a tweet from September 1, wherein he told followers, “[I] definitely miss gaming competitively… Me & that damn controller are itching to get back to work. The question is, which game.” The very next post came two days later with a link to his Apex Legends stream on Twitch. Whether or not this means he plans on returning to Apex-centric pro leagues presently remains up in the air, as he’s yet to share anything concrete. NICKMERCS had also gone on a streaming hiatus for a few weeks over the summer. The internet star later explained his prologued absence as a response to the fact that not a lot of games were “tickling [his] fancy” at the time. Evidently, something made him want to give Apex Legends a second chance. And, since developer Respawn Entertainment kicked off Season 22 on August 6 with a new map and gameplay adjustments, now seems as good a time as any for a comeback.

Nickmercs Apex Legends $50k MFAM Gauntlet League week 1 standings – Dexerto
Nickmercs Apex Legends $50k MFAM Gauntlet League week 1 standings NICKMERCSPlayers like ImperialHal, Dezignful, and Vein battled for the top stop in week 1 of the MFAM gauntlet League as they compete for the top prize of $35,000. To earn a share of the $50,000 prize money, players must earn must points solo in a one-of-a-kind Apex Legends competitive event. Players earn those points through their randomly selected team’s kills and placement in a match. Each game, a player’s team will change, and he will be allocated new teammates, testing pro Apex Legends player’s solo queue ability. Players have been competing in these solo-queue games all week, with their points earned from each game totaling towards their individual score. Week 1 finished, and the $50,000 Gauntlet League has released the top 15 standings so far. Apex Legends pro OXG Vein takes Week 1 top spot In the official tweet published by the MFAM Gauntlet League Vein tops the standings with a point total of 1468 points, earning himself $1,500. Vein dominated Week 1, also earning himself an extra $250 for getting the most eliminations, 120 in total. Vein beat players like ImperialHal in points, who ended up placing in top 15 with a total of 1276 points. Apex Legends Gauntlet League viewers praised Vein’s high kill performances, “that boy Vein farming the gauntlet.” Despite Vein being an ALGS NA Champion, for some viewers his standout week made them question who they originally thought were the best players in the game, “Vein has to be one of the most underrated players in the game right?” One player considered to be one of the best, Dezignful who placed in the top 5, raged at his teammates with tensions rising as week 1 of the MFAM gauntlet came to an end. Apex Legends drama during pro Gauntlet Dezignful and his team were in a tense end-game fight on the edge of the zone when both his teammates went down. NICKMERCS announces pro Apex Legends return with new ALGS squad – Dexerto
NICKMERCS announces pro Apex Legends return with new ALGS squad YouTube: NICKMERCSNICKMERCS has announced his return to pro Apex Legends after locking in a new ALGS squad for the upcoming 2025 season. Back on February 20, NICKMERCS’ teammates on Tripod – Deeds and Gent – announced that the squad was breaking up due to the content creator falling “out of love” right after failing to qualify for the first two ALGS NA splits in 2024. Though now, as the 2024 ALGS season finishes its LCQ, qualifying its last teams for the ALGS Championship, the tournament looks to have inspired him to make a return to competitive play once again. “We have locked in our Apex squad,” Nick said during a September 16 stream. “I told you that we were waiting on LCQ, we did that, we waited patiently, we watched LCQ… Fun tournament to watch man, really got me itching to get back in there.” His new teammates are Anthony “DeToX” George and Jvonn “Avexys” Williams. Both players competed together in the NA LCQ under a free-agent team, FURY, but moving forward they’ll be playing with NICKMERCS for the upcoming season. The squad does not currently have a team name, but they are planning on making a more formal announcement in the future. “These are two players that we have played a lot against, like every one of our lobbies would be me, Gent, and Deeds and they’re always around,” NICK said of his new teammates, recalling how his old team would intentionally avoid taking fights against them because they were so good. “I’ve known Avexys for a long time, just getting to know DeToX, but they’re good dudes… We’ve always wanted to play with each other for a long time, so sick about the opportunity to f**king get after it man.” Since the ALGS season has effectively wrapped up for teams who haven’t qualified for Champs, the squad will be playing Tier 2 events and will attempt to be in next year’s NA Pro League.

NICKMERCS’ ALGS team Tripods disbands as streamer falls “out of love” with Apex Legends – Dexerto
NICKMERCS’ ALGS team Tripods disbands as streamer falls “out of love” with Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment / Scuf Gaming: NickmercsNICKMERCS’ ALGS team Tripods has disbanded as the streamer falls “out of love” with Apex Legends and seemingly makes a return to Warzone. NICKMERCS has been controversial in the Apex community since making a pivot towards the game in 2022, as he formed a pro team, Tripods, that got invited to the NA ALGS 2022 Pro League Split 1 which caught the eye of many pros. Tripods and Nick would continue making waves in Apex, with FaZe Clan signing the team and playing as the secondary team for the org before long. However, after barely failing to qualify for the ALGS 2024 Pro League Split 1 and Split 2, NICKMERCS has seemingly called it quits for Apex. At least for the time being. Fellow Tripods members Deeds and Gent published videos on February 19 talking about the future of the team, revealing the lineup was disbanding as Nick moves away from the game. “Nick hasn’t been playing as much Apex recently, gotten a lot of questions on stream, and the simple answer is the fact he fell out of love with Apex, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” Deeds said of Nick’s departure. Gent then added, “Sometimes interests don’t align and passion gets lost. For Nick, he has new interests and newfound passions, for Deeds and I, we want the same thing. As in we want to compete in Apex whether that means together or not.” Both Deeds and Gents say that the decision to disband Tripods was a mutual decision between the trio to disband, with “no bad blood” being left between them. Nick has yet to comment on Tripods disbanding. The disbanding also coincides with Nick making a return to Warzone after his hiatus from the game. This was due to a controversial tweet that led to his Operator skin being pulled from the game in 2023.

NICKMERCS claims he’s totally addicted to Apex Legends: “I can’t help it” – Dexerto
NICKMERCS claims he’s totally addicted to Apex Legends: “I can’t help it” Twitch: NICKMERCS / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends might be holding onto Warzone’s biggest names for a bit longer: Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolsheff is “f**king addicted” to the Respawn-developed battle royale, and doesn’t plan on stopping his Twitch streams any time soon. Apex Legends has claimed some major scalps off the back of its Season 10 launch, at least in the streaming department. Some of the biggest names from other titles like Fortnite and Call of Duty have jumped over to the Outlands. However, none come bigger than NICKMERCS. The multi-talented Twitch star has been streaming Apex non-stop for two weeks since the season launched. It’s had a great effect on his numbers too, jumping from around 45,000 average viewers to over 55,000. And, if his addiction is anything to go by, that itch still needs a bit of scratching. “I’m f**king addicted. I go to drink my smoothie, I think about Apex. I go take a shower, thinking about Apex. I’m laying in bed, watching Apex,” he said on stream. “I won a game with Clocky and Tom [Cloakzy and Tim] at 3 in the morning last night, got 202 points and over 7 KP, I got off the stream and the first thing I did was watch it back so I could try and understand the sh*t I’m doing well and the sh*t I didn’t do well.” It’s part of his competitive mentality — something he carried from Gears of War to Halo, Call of Duty, and Fortnite. He wants to just get better, so once the 30-year-old latches onto something, there’s no stopping until he’s at the top. “I’m f**ked up man. I get like this, it’s who I am,” he said. Everything I’ve done in my life, nothing compares to what I’m doing right now. I get invested into a game and I have to be good. I have to be great.” “The same thing happened in Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty. Call of Duty I won over 500 online tournaments. It was a grind to get to that point. Gears of War — national champion, cardboard cheque. A grind to get there. “You guys have been laughing at me getting railed these last couple of weeks. I’ve been getting f**ked. “[But in Gears of War] I got railed for a year and a half and then I got to eat the cake. This has been about a week, this ain’t sh*t for me. I’m good, that’s my point.” While there’s more he has to worry about nowadays than just becoming the best — his Twitch community comes first — it’s satisfying for NICKMERCS to sink his teeth into a new challenge and run it back like the old days. “I know I’m 30 now and I’m older and I don’t have that same pizzazz or fire to be great in everything I play in, and the stream and the community — it’s not like I’m just a gamer anymore, it’s so much bigger than that. It’s still nice to fall back on what started it all. “I can’t f**king help it. I played 12 hours off-stream the other day. Passion.” How long NICKMERCS has left in the tank to grind Apex Legends is up to him, but with his grind to Predator still ongoing, there’s still plenty of room for him to grow and become the best in yet another battle royale title after Warzone.

NiceWigg urges Apex Legends to refund players over “pay to win” Flatline skin – Dexerto
NiceWigg urges Apex Legends to refund players over “pay to win” Flatline skin 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has urged Respawn to dish out refunds to players who bought the “pay to win” Flatline skin since it is getting changed already. Just like many of its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends has jumped right into the cosmetics side of things, releasing new skins for characters, weapons, and others all the time. The skins and cosmetics don’t, usually, often have a competitive advantage during games and should just be used to stand out from the crowd. However, as we’ve seen at times, a few issues slip through and restart the “pay to win” argument. It happened again in the Sun Squad Collection Event after the new Splash Zone skin for the Flatline was branded “pay to win” due to its iron sights. Respawn have already stated that it’s going to change, but NiceWigg wants players to be reimbursed. NiceWigg wants Apex Legends devs to refund players over Splash Zone Flatline skin The popular Apex Legends personality brought it up on stream shortly after Respawn noted they’d be altering the skin, as he couldn’t believe that it had been released in the first place. “I just don’t know how this happens, if I’m being honest,” he started. “That iron sight is a pay-to-win iron sight. That is a beautiful sight, it is super easy to see, by far one of the best Flatline sights I’ve seen in my life and they said it’s actually supposed to look like the right one. “Personally, if I’m being honest, they’ve got to give a refund. That is not the same skin! That is two completely different skins,” NiceWigg added. “I think they should refund people and see who wants to buy it again. The skin does look really good outside of the iron sights.” As noted, the devs will be changing the skin, but a refund would certainly be a new step that we haven’t seen before. He’s not alone in believing that there should be compensation, with a number of Apex pros responding to Respawn’s announcement asking for refunds. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

NiceWigg unveils crazy buff idea for Lifeline as Apex Legends pick rate drops – Dexerto
NiceWigg unveils crazy buff idea for Lifeline as Apex Legends pick rate drops 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has got a pretty crazy idea to rework Lifeline as the pick rate of the once-popular Apex Legends heroine has dropped off significantly. With Respawn Entertainment finally dropping the Season 13 update for Apex Legends, the meta in the battle royale has undergone some pretty notable changes. The likes of Wraith, Octane, Bloodhound, and Valkyrie all remain key parts of any winning trio, but the arrival of Newcastle has had a pretty big knock-on effect on Lifeline – seeing as the pair’s abilities do have some similarities while also remaining different. Lifeline has, for a few seasons now, been a legend that fans would like to see reworked in some form, and with her pick rate dropping to its lowest point yet, NiceWigg has got a crazy idea that could actually be pretty genius. The 100 Thieves content creator revealed his idea during a recent stream, as he claimed that the Combat Medic needs a “complete character rework” to separate her abilities from the likes of Loba, Newcastle, and Gibraltar. “The only way that they could actually do anything is a complete AOE healing, where her ultimate is like a Wattson gen,” NiceWigg started, with his suggestion getting increasingly wacky, yet, feasible. “Or, her teammates get to choose when they want heals. “She could have like a little patch on each one of her teammate’s arms, and her teammates could choose when to pop health into themselves. Cool way to buff her.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The streamer believes that Lifeline is one of the “worst” characters in the battle royale as it stands, and some work needs to be done to turn her fortunes around. As we’ve seen previously, Respawn have taken feedback and fan ideas on board when it comes to tweaking legends, but they’ve stated that they can’t outright copy suggestions. Though, they may have to shed that rule for this one. It is pretty awesome after all.

NiceWigg suggests perfect Lifeline buff amid Apex Legends Season 14 gold items change – Dexerto
NiceWigg suggests perfect Lifeline buff amid Apex Legends Season 14 gold items change 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has urged Respawn Entertainment to give Lifeline a bit of a buff in Apex Legends following the changes they’ve made to gold survival items. Over the last couple of months, the Apex Legends community has become more than a little annoyed with the Gold Knockdown shield and its self-revive ability. So much so, that many players have been calling for its outright removal from the battle royale. When Season 14: Hunted launches on August 9, those players will get their wish, seeing as the Gold Knockdown shield will now have the ‘Guardian Angel’ perk attached – meaning you’ll get bonus health and armor when revived by a teammate. That change has also had a knock-on effect on the Gold Backpack, as players will be able to carry additional medical supplies. As a result, some players want Lifeline to get a corresponding change too. NiceWigg wants Lifeline change after survival items tweak One of the most prominent voices on a potential Lifeline buff is NiceWigg, who suggested that Lifeline now needs to have a permanent Gold Backpack as a passive ability. “Lifeline, now, should have an automatic gold bag because now it wouldn’t be too broken, it actually makes sense for her character,” the 100 Thieves content creator said. “I actually think that now is the perfect time to implement a permanent gold bag for Lifeline, without a doubt. I don’t think it’s going to happen, but I think it’s a really, really good choice.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load As NiceWigg further notes, the change could also, in a way, buff Lifeline’s ultimate ability, seeing as that already gives medical supplies as well. It remains to be seen if it is something that Respawn will actually do, but if it becomes a focal point of the community, it might be something for the devs to consider.

NiceWigg says Apex Legends mobile is “torching” main game with better updates – Dexerto
NiceWigg says Apex Legends mobile is “torching” main game with better updates 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves star Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin believes Apex Mobile is “torching” the main Apex Legends game with some of the “crazy” updates that they’ve already pushed out. Back in May, at long last, Apex Legends finally got into the mobile gaming market with the launch of Apex Legends Mobile. While players haven’t quite ditched the main battle for it just yet, plenty of jealousy has boiled over. For example, the mobile version of Respawn’s battle royale has a solo mode, team deathmatch, and a legend in the form of Fade that isn’t likely to ever appear in the main game. That doesn’t even cover the exclusive skins or character lore too. Plenty of fans have called for Respawn to take a few things from the mobile version – including upgrades to the firing range and stats for weapons – but that hasn’t happened just yet, leaving them wondering if it ever will. NiceWigg believes Apex Legends mobile is “absolutely torching” main BR 100 Thieves’ NiceWigg is the latest to his lend his voice to the ongoing debate between the two games, with former ALGS competitor believing that the mobile game has a bit of a leg up over the main game. “Mobile’s updates have been way better than normal Apex. Mobile has been absolutely torching normal Apex in updates,” the Apex Legends content creator said. “They have visual audio – which is pretty much like when there’s a footstep, there’s like an arrow pointing to where the footstep is. They got f**king solos, they lowkey have some crazy exclusive skins, they have some crazy f**king exclusive legends.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load As noted, some of these things will always remain exclusive to the mobile experience, and while there are calls to add some other things, it might be a little difficult. Respawn aren’t developing the mobile game, that is Tencent’s doing, so it’s not all being done under the same umbrella, despite the two sharing the name and universe. If calls for change really take off, the devs will likely consider some changes, but that’s a case of wait-and-see.

NiceWigg reveals custom Apex Legends heirloom from 100 Thieves – Dexerto
NiceWigg reveals custom Apex Legends heirloom from 100 Thieves 100 Thieves / Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin revealed a custom Gibraltar heirloom from 100 Thieves ahead of a $100k event. The 100T content creator was thrilled to unbox his very own War Club and celebrated the surprise by recreating poses that the Shielded Fortress does in-game. As one of Apex’s biggest streamers, NiceWigg’s org pulled out all the stops to hook him up with a unique replica to display. Before diving into the $100,000 Samsung Odyssey Invitational, NiceWigg brandished the heirloom made by popular prop makers, HokuProps. The org said it was made special as a housewarming gift to the new Los Angeles resident. “We got our boy a custom Gibraltar heirloom as a housewarming gift,” 100T said in an Instagram post. “Welcome to LA, NiceWigg.” NiceWigg Gibraltar heirloom “I’m here to watch your back, brudda.” Gibraltar x 100 Thieves Thanks to 100 Thieves for one of the coolest surprises EVER. pic.twitter.com/DGy6574RxD — 100T NiceWigg (@NiceWigg) December 15, 2021 While the War Club in Apex Legends celebrates Gibraltar’s heritage, NiceWigg’s version was decked out with red-and-black highlights to match 100 Thieves’ aesthetic. The model comes fitted with LEDs that make the entire thing glow and a 100T logo that can be seen just above the handle. But to make it truly custom to the Apex pro, the present also came with both a hangar and heirloom charm repping NiceWigg’s personal logo. The gift was meant to celebrate the streamer who’s been getting more traction on Twitch as he approaches 500k followers and has linked up with the rest his team in LA. View this post on Instagram As far as housewarming gifts go, this is par for the course of what 100T likes to do for its creators. Members are used to seeing the brand go all-out, like the time the company completely repainted its Cash App compound to welcome TinaKitten to the org. 100T’s latest gift for NiceWigg had both the streamer and his Apex Legends fans appreciating the nod to Gibraltar’s heirloom.

NiceWigg highlights key Apex Legends advantages on mouse & keyboard vs controller – Dexerto
NiceWigg highlights key Apex Legends advantages on mouse & keyboard vs controller 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has highlighted some of the big advantages both keyboard and mouse, and controller users have in Apex Legends, though he believes there is a clear winner. Over the last few years, multiplayer games have moved more towards allowing different inputs in the same lobbies, pitting keyboard and mouse, and controller users against each other regularly. While players have gotten used to taking on the other side, the debate still rages on – especially as keyboard and mouse users air their grievances with things like controller aim assist. In terms of Apex Legends, 100 Thieves streamer NiceWigg believes both sides have their advantages in different areas, but also that there is a clear winner too. The Twitch star was handing out advice during a recent stream when he was asked for his take on the different inputs and just how they match up in the battle royale’s 12th season. “My opinion on inputs, I think mouse and keyboard is extremely dominant from long-range to mid-range, R301 really doesn’t have much recoil, Flatline is super easy to use,” NiceWigg said. “I think movement on mouse and keyboard is super fluid, but really hard to get used to and takes a lot of time to perfect and master.” He continued: “Controller bro, up close aiming and shotguns, it’s not even a battle. I think controller shotgun goes absolutely stupid. Controller R9 goes stupid compared to mouse and keyboard. Up close fights, controller just takes the cake, but for mouse and keyboard overall, I think it’s worth investing your time into it if you really want to elevate your game.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The 100 Theives star also noted that with mouse and keyboard you can “really feel” how much better you get after switching from controller, given there’s a “skill cap” when using a pad. Obviously, not everyone can or will make the switch, and the controller has its advantages. Though, at the highest level, it is pretty keyboard and mouse dominated for the reasons NiceWigg points out.

NiceWigg explains why “broken” Caustic is key for Apex Legends Ranked – Dexerto
NiceWigg explains why “broken” Caustic is key for Apex Legends Ranked Instagram: NiceWigg/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin believes that Caustic is not only “broken” in Apex Legends, but also the key to ranking up. However, he believes the legend is in a tricky spot when it comes to changes. Ever since the start of Apex Legends, Caustic has always been a go-to legend for some of the battle royale’s most dedicated players. Even though the Toxic Trapper has had issues in the past – mainly in regards to his gas damage – he is in a decent spot in Season 11, rubbing elbows with the likes of Bloodhound and Valkyrie as one of the strongest characters. While some players might believe that Caustic is in need of some nerfs, Apex Legends streamer NiceWigg believes the “broken” legend is in a tricky spot in regards to changes. During a recent session of games, the 100 Thieves content creator was quizzed about Caustic by a fan, who asked why he believes that the Toxic Trapper is so overpowered. “I think Caustic’s just really broken. I think he’s just a really strong legend,” NiceWigg said, noting that some players are reluctant to initiate fights with a Caustic trio in Ranked play currently. That gives Caustic users the comfort to grab the Ranked Points they need to avoid having to be too aggressive later on in games. In terms of balancing the defensive legend, though, NiceWigg claims that’s “genuinely tough” for Respawn. “One nerf can make him useless, one buff can make him strong enough to solo The Avengers,” he added. While there might be some appetite to see Caustic and his gas traps brought down a notch, it might not happen anytime soon, given he is generally in a solid state. Should the gas traps become too overbearing, as they have been in recent seasons, then Respawn might need to address thing, but we’ll have to wait and see on that front.

NiceWigg explains why Apex Legends isn’t “dying” as player count drops – Dexerto
NiceWigg explains why Apex Legends isn’t “dying” as player count drops 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has explained why Apex Legends isn’t “dying” even if players are moving to other games for the time being. Over the last few seasons of Apex Legends, players haven’t been shy in criticizing Respawn Entertainment and their battle royale over a number of lingering problems. Check out the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Amazon With the start of Season 15: Eclipse, the developers sought to fix some of the biggest issues that have been giving players headaches. Though, it has also caused a few more problems too, with players complaining about increased lag, the new sticker packs, and issues with the Broken Moon map. The new season dropped right around a packed period for the gaming calendar and, as a result, the average player count has been down. Naturally, some players have claimed that Apex is dying off, but NiceWigg doesn’t agree. NiceWigg defends Apex Legends drop and claims it’s not “dying” The Apex Legends star addressed those claims during a recent stream, where he noted that players are simply trying out some of the new games that have dropped but should return to Apex in the long run. “No, Apex is not dying. There’s just really good games coming out, big name games right now bro,” NiceWigg said, answering one fan. We have Overwatch 2, Warzone 2.0, we have a new act of Valorant coming out soon, Apex is not dying. “There is just a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed, hopefully, it can be fixed. Dying is a very strong word for a game, but no. Is Apex taking a hit right now and needs to fix a couple of things? For sure, without a doubt.” As noted, the average player count for Apex has dipped since the start of Season 15, with it averaging around 172,000 players in October. That’s the lowest average count for well over a year. With Season 15 set to be a longer season than usual, the battle royale could keep taking a hit over the coming months, but the devs are promising that the wait will be worth it. So, it should bounce back. If you click on a product link on this page we may earn a small affiliate commission.

NiceWigg explains ‘strongest’ way to use Pathfinder in Apex Legends Season 14 – Dexerto
NiceWigg explains ‘strongest’ way to use Pathfinder in Apex Legends Season 14 Respawn/EA100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has highlighted the best way to use Pathfinder in Apex Legends these days, claiming there’s one particular arena that makes Pathy “strong”. While Respawn Entertainment continues to add new legends to Apex Legends, there are a handful of characters from the original roster that remains rather popular regardless of the changes. One of those is Pathfinder, the humorous, deadpan robot that can get his team out of a pinch thanks to his powerful Zipline ultimate. Even though he’s undergone a few nerfs, Pathy still holds onto one of the best pick rates in the game, and remains a top-five character for usage in Season 14. The recon legend is still a powerful choice on any map, but according to NiceWigg, he shines brightest when it comes to Kings Canyon. NiceWigg explains the best way to use Pathfinder in Apex Legends The 100 Thieves star was talking up the Forward Scout during a recent stream, when he explained that Pathy performs better on Kings Canyon than any other map in the battle royale. “I don’t think Pathfinder is phenomenal, I just think he’s really good on Kings Canyon,” NiceWigg said. “I feel like Pathfinder is a very, obviously, elusive legend, but the grapples on Kings Canyon with the way that height plays out, I think it’s like really strong. “I think he’s really, really strong in that aspect. He’s definitely a selfish character. That’s one you have to do with Pathfinder on KC, that guy is one shot and I’m full HP? My job is to get that knock.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The former Apex pro noted that you can use Pathfinder is a less selfish manner, but his abilities are suited towards playing for yourself – even if you can help your team out. So, next time you drop into the Apex Games and consider using Path, it might be best considering what map you’re playing on first.

NiceWigg defends streamers like NICKMERCS “stealing viewers” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
NiceWigg defends streamers like NICKMERCS “stealing viewers” in Apex Legends Respawn/ESL/FaZe ClanJack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has long been a mainstay among the top Apex Legends Twitch streamers, and he’s now had to defend top Warzone streamers like NICKMERCS over accusations that they’ve “stolen viewers” from Apex players. The popular Apex personality may not reach the dizzying heights that the likes of Nick, TimTheTatman and more have in the streaming world, but he’s found a lot of success in Apex Legends. Since many top Warzone streamers started migrating over to Apex, though, we’ve seen viewership for the game fly up as viewers follow them over. Some fans have expressed their disappointment at this, saying that people like Nick are “stealing viewers” from original Apex streamers — but NiceWigg isn’t having any of it. In the weeks since the mass exodus of Warzone streamers to Apex Legends, NiceWigg and many other Apex streamers have been inundated with questions about it — but NiceWigg has explained why fans’ criticism is misplaced. After many comments about it, NiceWigg posted a video to TikTok discussing the situation, after several questions asking about it. “Saying that shit’s rude as f**k,” he said, after reading a comment from a viewer accusing Warzone streamers of “stealing” viewers. “You guys gotta get over that sh*t. I averaged 8,000 viewers on stream yesterday. These mainstream streamers bring in a ton of new people. I’ve never averaged 8k viewers my whole life.” He then hit back at the accusation that Apex were sponsoring the streamers to get them to play, to which NiceWigg responded that “they are playing the game willfully,” because they like it. Finally, he said that “if you’re salty about people taking viewership, you shouldn’t be streaming in the first place.” Some Apex fans have definitely been a bit incensed over all the viewers these new streamers are getting, but as NiceWigg says, this is a huge positive for both the game and the OG streamers.

NiceWigg claims Apex Legends Ranked changes will increase cheaters in Season 19 – Dexerto
NiceWigg claims Apex Legends Ranked changes will increase cheaters in Season 19 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin believes that the changes coming to Ranked in Apex Legends Season 19 will only increase the number of cheaters in the battle royale and make things tougher. Ever since Season 2 of Apex Legends, if you’ve wanted to prove yourself against the best of the best, you head into Ranked Leagues. There, you’ll compete with the cream of the crop and see how you shake out against them. However, the mode has always had a topsy-turvy lifespan. Players have constantly been annoyed at how the ranks work, as well as how points are disturbed, prompting Respawn to make some serious changes. The Apex devs will once again be making changes in Season 19, bringing in more bonuses, allowing players of all ranks to play with each other, and less LP loss after your 10 professional games. NiceWigg unsure about Apex Legends Season 18 Ranked changes These changes have been welcomed by many players, though there are a few concerns about them as well. 100 Thieves’ NiceWigg has voiced his problems with them, as he believes the changes will likely lead to an increase in cheaters. “100%, cheating will increase, without a doubt,” he said during his October 17 stream as he discussed the changes. “You’re 100% going to see a gigantic boost in cheaters. These cheaters now can team up with a player on a new account, they can immediately start playing after provisionals and just boost these guys all the way up to wherever they want to be. “Definitely way more boosting, definitely way more cheaters. That’s just going to happen no matter what when you do this.” The former Apex pro added that the changes will also make things “harder” for those who solo-queue because actual teams will be more aggressive with pushes. Ultimately, it remains to be seen how things will shake out once the new changes are introduced once Season 19 goes live.

NiceWigg blasts “horrible” Lifeline buff in Apex Legends Awakening event – Dexerto
NiceWigg blasts “horrible” Lifeline buff in Apex Legends Awakening event 100 Thieves/Respawn100 Thieves’ Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has been left less than impressed by Lifeline’s upcoming buff in Apex Legends, calling her Ultimate changes “horrible.” Over the last few months, Apex Legends fans have been desperate to see Lifeline – one of the battle royale’s original legends – get some love through buffs, and maybe even another rework to her abilities. Those calls intensified with the arrival of Newcastle, with the hero of Harris Valley having some pretty similar abilities to the game’s much-loved medic. 100 Thieves’ NiceWigg was one of those fans who called on Respawn to go above and beyond with a Lifeline buff, suggesting that her healing should have an AOE. His ideas, like many others, haven’t been used by Respawn for Lifeline’s upcoming buff, and while he’s not knocking the devs for not using his idea, he isn’t sure their plan is the way to go. After the Apex Legends devs revealed their Lifeline buff on June 16, the 100 Thieves streamer highlighted them on his stream, and gave his initial thoughts on how it might play out. NiceWigg noted he was a fan of the changes to Lifeline’s Combat Revive and D.O.C Drone, but added that it wasn’t exactly a “big buff” for the medic. The changes to her Ultimate, however, didn’t impress him at all. “That does nothing for her. That is literally horrible,” he said about the cooldown time on Lifeline’s ultimate being changed. “Loba gets her ultimate way faster than that, that is a horrible f**king buff.” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The former Apex pro also labeled the other tweaks to Lifeline’s ultimate as “horrible” and suggested that it was the “biggest L of all time” for the combat medic. Seeing as these changes are locked in, it’s hardly like Respawn are going to change them now, but we’ll just have to wait and see how the community responds by seeing how her pick rate is impacted.

‘Next level ganking’ in Apex Legends punishes players who solo drop – Dexerto
‘Next level ganking’ in Apex Legends punishes players who solo drop Respawn EntertainmentA band of Apex Legends players reminded the community how solo dropping in World’s Edge could be extremely deadly – especially in the Deja Loot mode. It’s not unusual for players who leave the dropship on their own to be an easy target. But Reddit user ‘imjustjun’ showed how the lone wolf strategy makes you incredibly susceptible to solo drop snipers. The player and the rest of their trio performed what they called a ‘next level gank.’ Even though it’s a smart idea to look for the vulnerable players right out of the gates, unfortunately for one person they were tailed twice in a row. “Context: My friends and I have been dropping lately unto one person for a quick kill and happened upon this Caustic who solo dropped far from his squad,” Imjustjun explained. “After we killed him the first time, we survived for another 7 min before dying and then requeueing and ended up doing the exact same thing purely by chance.” Unfortunate for the Caustic, but these are the perils of dropping into a game on your own. Apex Legends gives players the luxury of a Jumpmaster who can literally take control of the other two players for the purposes of landing in the same spot. There’s an option to launch on your own or detach from your team mid-flight, the latter of which would still be way safer than the former. But imjustjun and crew found that some players can be creatures of habit to a tragic degree, especially since the Deja Loot mode can give people a false sense of security. Knowing what loot will spawn where can make some people comfortable with a certain drop spot since they know exactly what they’re getting. That only makes them even more liable to predators in the Apex Games like the trio in the clip who took the enemy Caustic by surprise in successive matches. But there was no love loss within the Apex community for solo droppers – who can make a game impossible to play at the beginning of the game. “It p**ses me off,” user ‘GuiltyGlow’ explained. “It plays out the exact same way every time with no deviation. They solo drop, go down within 60 seconds of hitting the ground, rapidly ping their banner, then disconnect.” Solo dropping isn’t advised in Apex Legends. But if you feel compelled to leave your team at the game’s start, then be on their guard for people hunting solo droppers.

When is Apex Legends Season 22? Everything we know – Dexerto
When is Apex Legends Season 22? Everything we know Respawn EntertainmentSeason 22 of Apex Legends shakes things up with some big Battle Pass changes. While it doesn’t add a new character, it brings a bunch of changes. Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has been rolling out regular content ever since its surprise launch in February 2019. Five years later, fans have had 21 seasons of new Legends, weapons, and updates to the action-packed battle royale. This is everything you can expect from Season 22 of Apex Legends. When is Apex Legends Season 22? Apex Legends Season 22 update is set to go live on August 6, 2024, at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/6 PM BST. It’s important to keep in mind that this timing could always be delayed due to server maintenance but if it is we’ll update this page with everything you need to know. What to expect in Season 22 The biggest news for Season 22 content is the most certainly the new Battle Pass experience. Battle Pass changes Going forward, there will be a Battle Pass for each split as opposed to one per season. There will only be 60 levels in each pass instead of the usual 110 levels. This change means players can earn double the Battle Pass rewards across the entire season, and they’ll still have the option to progress from level 60 – 100 to upgrade their Battle Pass badges. More rewards are being added, and past rewards that weren’t being used frequently have been removed. The Free and Premium tracks are still being maintained but a new Premium+ track is being made available for $19.99. Upon completing the new pass, Free players will receive an additional Epic Character Skin, Weapon Skin, Standing Emote, and 2X Season Rewards. Premium users will get x2,400 Crafting Metals,x 17 Apex Packs, and three Legends-Thematic Packs. Finally, the Premium+ tier includes the same rewards as Premium, as well as x10 level skins, x2,400 Crafting Metals, x20 Exotic Shards, x17 Apex Packs, two Premium+ Legendary Character Skin Variants, and will be able to access every Legend for the duration of the pass. Despite Respawn initially confirming that tiers could be purchased with real-world money going forward, the developers announced they had backtracked this change on July 24, 2024. During Split 1 of the upcoming Battle Pass players can get the Premium Battle Pass by completing simple challenges, and in Split 2 you can unlock it with 950 Apex Coins. District map A new map called District is set to be introduced, “packed with a ton of verticality,” and is described as “a cyberpunk playground.” It will also include a feature called Gravity Launcher, similar to Grav Cannons on Storm Point. This has yet to be confirmed by Respawn but as soon as new official news drops about Season 22, we’ll be sure to update this page. New mode: Revival This new mode, similar to Call of Duty: Warzone’s Resurgence—will be available to trios. This mode starts by making the respawn timer start when you die, and you respawn as long as one of your teammates is still alive. Your respawn also speeds up with damage and knocks. The revival feature gets turned off in the last rings. That’s everything we know about Season 22 so far. You can take a look at the Season 22 patch notes to check out all the changes. For more on the game, check out how to see how many Apex Packs you’ve opened, and the current pick rates.

Next Apex Legends map potentially teased in Season 5 trailer – Dexerto
Next Apex Legends map potentially teased in Season 5 trailer EARespawn Entertainment might be taking Apex Legends players to a brand new map real soon, based on some potential teasers spotted in the Season 5 launch trailer. There has been no official confirmation of a new map being included in the battle royale title’s next major update just yet. Although, even if the landscape of the Apex Games doesn’t change in S5, this could be an indication about the next destination for legends. In the past, there has been speculation about whether or not a new planet might be explored in the coming months, and now some fans now think they have been given their biggest clue yet about those ideas coming to fruition. After EA revealed the game’s latest trailer on May 5, eagle-eyed players spotted something very interesting about one particular frame of the video. There has been a mention of another known planet in the series’ solar system, and that planet is the homeworld of Octane – Psamathe. It might actually be a familiar name for veteran players. Back in Season 3, some were left thinking the same thing as they are now, after Respawn revealed a blog post mentioning Psamathe. The specific phrase said: “Images of the disaster (in Kings Canyon) have been splashed across holoscreens from Solace to Psamathe.” We now know that World’s Edge was to be the new map on that occasion, but based on some screen grabs of the latest trailer, things might be different next time. Respawn teasing a new Apex Legends map? As seen in the post above, from user PoetryBonesGabby, the island of Psamathe has been mentioned once again. The text mentions a production facility that’s based there and for all we know so far, we might soon get a chance to see it. If you can’t make out what the text says there, you can check it out in the full trailer (timestamped at 1:01), or check out the closeup below. While showing off Loba, the trailer featured a short scene where she fires at a face behind glass. In one shot, we can see that the text: “Psamathe production facility 819 powered up. Standing by to retrieve. Transfer complete.” As noted, Respawn are yet to confirm the arrival of a new map for Apex Legends Season 5, which kicks off on May 12. So, it’s possible this is little more than a simple nod to another planet in the Titanfall universe, for no particular reason. However, this could be the first teaser for the next map added to the battle royale title – either soon, or in the future. Only time will tell.

Next Apex Legends heirloom potentially leaked by Bangalore skin – Dexerto
Next Apex Legends heirloom potentially leaked by Bangalore skin Respawn EntertainmentSome eagle-eyed Apex Legends fans think they’ve found a teaser for an upcoming, but unconfirmed, Bangalore heirloom, potentially coming in the game’s Season 5. Heirlooms are ultra rare in-game items pertaining to specific legends. For every 500 Apex Packs a player opens, they are guaranteed one heirloom. Currently, only five legends have specific heirloom sets: Wraith, Bloodhound, Lifeline, Pathfinder, and Octane. With each new Season, fans try and piece together which legend will be the next to receive an heirloom. While recent speculation has surrounded Loba’s cane, Revenant’s glass shard, and a suggestive Mirage leak, fans have spotted something in a new Bangalore skin that could indicate she’s up next. The potential teaser was spotted by Reddit u/breecekong, who shared their findings on May 14. On the Sky Marshal skin for Bangalore, the back of her right boot contains a sheath, in which a small knife is held. The knife looks like similar to K-Bar Knife, like some used by world militaries. It’s certainly the right size for an heirloom, but some Redditors were quick to point out that Wraith’s dagger and Octane’s knife are already very similar to what we can see in the Bangalore skin. While the design is distinctly different from those existing heirlooms, some questioned whether Respawn would go for a third iteration of a knife. It goes without saying that this is unconfirmed, and will remain that way until Respawn gives official word of the next heirloom coming to Apex Legends. There’s every possibility the knife is merely adding detail to the skin, or acting as bait to trick us into considering it a future heirloom. The entire introduction of the legend Forge was apparently to trick data-miners and hide the reveal of Revenant as Apex Legends new character for the fourth season, so it seems entirely possible that the knife is there to confuse us all. We’ll have to wait and see what else Respawn have up their sleeves.

Next Apex Legends event will add “most fan-requested feature since launch” – Dexerto
Next Apex Legends event will add “most fan-requested feature since launch” Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have teased Apex Legends players with a cryptic announcement, revealing that the “most fan-requested feature” since the launch of the game is coming, and very soon. Released without warning on February 4, Apex Legends was an instant hit, and has continued to evolve over the months to address players’ wants and needs. With Season 2 now underway, which brought with it a ranked mode and an improved battle pass, developers at Respawn entertainment are already gearing up for the next season. However, there are still a few months of Season 2 to go, and in that time Respawn have in-game events planned, as revealed in EA’s quarter 1 fiscal report. As well as outlining that Season 3 will be their most ambitious yet, and doubling down on their commitment to a mobile launch, they have teased an event coming “in the next few weeks.” The new event “will bring new content and deliver one of the most fan-requested features since the launch of Apex.” So, what could this ‘most requested feature’ be? Here’s some of the possibilities: Solo mode If there is one thing that (most) fans have been begging for since release in February, it’s a solo mode. Currently, you can only play in teams of three, and if you’re on your own will be given two random teammates. The game is designed from the ground-up with 3-person teams in mind, but with every other battle royale offering a solo mode, players have unsurprisingly been asking for it non-stop. It would render many features of the game effectively useless though, such as respawn beacons, Lifeline’s passive ability and more, but at this point, Apex Legends fans don’t care, and just want to play free-for-all in Kings Canyon. Cross-platform play Another heavily requested feature is cross-play between consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) and PC. Fortnite set the trend by allowing all platforms to play with and against each other, and Respawn have stated their intent to have cross-play in the future. However, last we heard, cross-play was still some way in the future, and lead dev Drew McColl explained that “If it wasn’t a ginormous amount of effort and work, we’d probably already be doing (cross-play). It’s just one of those things where we’re still a fairly small team so we have to pick and choose our battles.” These are likely the two most requested features since the release of Apex Legends, but the announcement does say that it is ‘one of the most fan-requested’, leaving it rather ambiguous. Whatever the new feature is, players won’t have to wait long, with the in-game event expected to begin sometime in August.

‘Unmasked’ Newcastle screenshot spurs hopes for new Apex Legends skins – Dexerto
‘Unmasked’ Newcastle screenshot spurs hopes for new Apex Legends skins Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players really want new Legendary Newcastle skins in Respawn’s pipeline after seeing a well-timed shot of the Mobile Defender in-game. The Season 13: Saviors launch introduced players to their new favorite support Legend, Newcastle, who spotlighted a really strong May 10 update from Respawn Entertainment. While Apex players can see Bangalore’s older brother without his Robocop-esque visor across the menus, people can’t help but wonder of a world where the devs give him a skin to showcase his mug. After seeing a closeup of NC on May 16, the Apex community are now holding out for cosmetics that would put a bigger shine on the character’s face. People were surprised to see a bugged view of the Season 13 Legend who looks “happy to be in the game,” as some users noted. “In case anyone has ever wondered [what] Newcastle looks like without his helmet in game, here you go,” user ‘DareM0X’ said of the still. This view immediately gave people a jonesing to see more versions of the Gridiron-native without his helm in the way. “I hope they release a skin with it off. Looking like a bootleg-ass Robocop,” one person quipped. “Same,” another player said. “Not a fan of any of the Legendary skins, all look too similar to each other and not different enough from default.” In Apex, Legendary skins go above-and-beyond a typical recolor of a base model that really give unique takes to the battle royale’s cast. Read more: How to unlock Fade in Apex Legends Mobile – With just a week since his release, there’s only five Legendary skins but all of them keep a version of his visored helmet on. Respawn are sure to explore more ways to show off its S13 character as the season goes on, so we’ll have to wait and see if Apex Legends players will get to play with Newcastle with the mask off.

Newcastle has a “secret” finisher animation with Bangalore in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Newcastle has a “secret” finisher animation with Bangalore in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentSeason 13’s new arrival Newcastle has an exclusive finisher animation with his sister Bangalore in Apex Legends, and it doesn’t have to be unlocked. Saviors has finally kicked off in Apex Legends and it’s introduced Storm Point map changes, Ranked Reloaded, and of course, the Heroic Defender Newcastle. While a lot of the community is spending countless hours in the Firing Range perfecting their skills with the mighty shield-bearer, others are discovering exclusive interactions involving Newcastle with other characters in the Outlands. One of the most unique and secret animations occurs between Bangalore and Newcastle when the Heroic Defender uses his default finisher on his sister. Although a lot of the finishers in Apex are pretty brutal, the one between the siblings is extremely different. Newcastle and Bangalore have a “secret” finisher In Newcastle’s standard default finisher, the Heroic Defender drops his shield on his opponent’s back and stamps on it to eliminate them from a match. However, when he approaches and attempts to finish his sister, the animation is different and a little more lighthearted. As showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber Gaming Merchant, instead of brutally slamming down his shield, Newcastle actually dances in front of Bangalore. It’s hard to know why this would ever eliminate a player from a match, but nonetheless, it’s an interesting interaction that adds a little more personality to their relationship. It’s worth noting that this finisher automatically applies when you’re using the default animation, so there’s no need to worry about unlocking it. Hopefully, Respawn adds more easter eggs like this in the future, as the community loves discovering these secret interactions and it’s a great way to flesh out the relationship between two characters on the roster.

Apex Legends Season 22 accidentally nerfed Newcastle but barely anyone noticed – Dexerto
Apex Legends Season 22 accidentally nerfed Newcastle but barely anyone noticed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are urging Respawn to make some changes to an underused legend as Season 22 has bugged one of his abilities in a big way. When Respawn Entertainment revealed the changes for Apex Legends Season 22, plenty of fans were excited. The new map, E-District, and the rework to Crypto’s drone were the most hyped changes, but the new season has created plenty of headaches too. The new battle sense health bars are the biggest issue that players have. Mirage mains, especially, have been annoyed with how the health bars give away the actual character’s position amongst his decoys. However, it isn’t just Mirage that has been accidentally nerfed by the new update. Newcastle mains have also become upset. Apex Legends content creator Manuzz pointed out that the new season has bugged the speed of his Swift Shield upgrade. “The swift shield upgrade is bugged and has no effect on his tactical’s speed,” he said on Twitter before showcasing it in action. “I need this fixed because this is the most important upgrade for the character for me,” he added. “It doesn’t work. It literally does nothing.” Plenty of players expressed their sympathy to Newcastle mains, tagging Respawn on social media in the hope of a fix. “I have always picked thick shield so I never noticed,” one unaware Newcastle user said. While some argued that it’s not going to be picked up because of how low his pick rate is with casuals, others noted that he’s started to be used in top-level play so that might change. “Seeing decent play in pros so they’ll probably get it fixed,” one chimed in. “I’ve seen a lot of teams in Pred running Newcastle, Crypto, Rev,” another added. He and Mirage aren’t the only ones suffering this season, either. Caustic’s pick rate has bottomed out in high-level play too, with players urgings further changes there too.

New Wraith mechanic makes Gravity Cannons OP in Apex Legends – Dexerto
New Wraith mechanic makes Gravity Cannons OP in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA new Wraith movement mechanic allows the Interdimensional Skirmisher to double the power of Gravity Cannons in Apex Legends. Since the release of Apex Legends all the way back in 2019, Wraith has been one of the most popular characters in the Outlands. Her ability to make outplays with the invulnerability from her Tactical and teleportation from her Ultimate make her incredibly fun to play. She also has an extremely high skill cap, with countless movement mechanics for Wraith mains to spend hours mastering. Well, a new one seems to have been discovered in Season 14, and it allows her to double the power of Gravity Cannons. Wraith trick doubles the power of Gravity Cannons As showcased and discovered by Reddit user Falcon_International, there’s a new must-learn mechanic for any Wraiths mains out there. When approaching a Gravity Cannon, the Interdimensional Skirmisher can activate her Tactical and jump backwards onto the device, causing the Cannon to push her nearly twice the distance. As noted in the post, this trick isn’t easy to replicate as the timing has to be absolutely perfect. However, if this can be mastered, it would make it easy to escape any pursuing squads or rotate to a different POI on the map. Despite speculation in the comments of the post, no one can figure out why this mechanic is possible, but there’s no denying it’s a powerful trick. It’s impossible to know whether Respawn will roll out a patch to fix the issue, but for now, it’s definitely a movement trick worth learning on Wraith.

New SMG weapon leaked for Apex Legends Season 3 – Dexerto
New SMG weapon leaked for Apex Legends Season 3 Respawn EntertainmentWith Apex Legends‘ third season fast approaching, leaks are beginning spill out as data miners access the game files to uncover unreleased content, and we now have a look at a new weapon expected for Season 3. So far, only two new weapons have been added since launch – the Havoc energy rifle, and the L-Star (although the latter was only available in care packages). This is a little thin for a free-to-play battle royale game, where new content is key to keeping players engaged, so it’s almost certain that a new weapon will be added soon, presumably alongside the launch of the new season, just like the L-Star. New leaked Apex Legends weapon – Volt SMG Prolific data miner @That1MiningGuy, who also leaked the name and contents of the Season 3 battle pass, has uncovered the model for a new SMG, inspired by Titanfall weapon ‘Volt’. This compact SMG was an energy weapon in Titanfall 2, which would make sense as an Apex Legends addition, as we don’t have an energy SMG yet, only an Assault Rifle (Havoc), LMG (Devotion) and Sniper (Triple Take). It’s unclear if the weapon will retain its Titanfall name, however. Other weapons from the series have had their names adjusted slightly, such as the ‘R-201’ becoming ‘R-301’, or the ‘R-97’ becoming the ‘R-99’. Realized I messed up on the emissions on that one, sory bout that. pic.twitter.com/Y2rn819Bpy — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) September 11, 2019 Volt models found, don’t think under barrel is for apex (since it had no other colored textures) – definitely apex skins for it, 5 in total. 🙂 — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) September 9, 2019 The leaker, That1MiningGuy, dismissed suggestions from some fans that it could, in fact, be another Titanfall SMG, the CAR, which does admittedly look similar. However, on close inspection of the models, it is clear that this new weapon in the Apex Legends game files is indeed the Volt. CAR left VOLT top right my render is the purple one. Hmmmm pic.twitter.com/wYoylz7cy2 — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) September 11, 2019 Some have also suggested that the game files could simply be leftovers from Titanfall, as some assets were reused for Apex Legends. However, as pointed out by the leaker, there are weapon skins for the Volt which are specific to Apex – meaning it can’t be a leftover asset. Of course, as with all leaks, it’s subject to change, and these assets could still be in development. However, with Season 3 just around the corner, and a new weapon expected, it looks very much like the Volt energy SMG will be coming to Kings Canyon. We can only hope that whatever the new weapon is, it isn’t left only to care packages, and is instead added to ground loot. Although the L-Star is very powerful, it’s limited in use as it has restricted ammo, and you’ll have to get lucky to find it in the first place.

New Wattson passive idea could be exactly what she needs in Apex Legends – Dexerto
New Wattson passive idea could be exactly what she needs in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has conceived a serious overhaul for Wattson’s passive, and it would make the Static Defender far more viable in Season 9. Opinions over Wattson in Apex Legends have been largely varied. Many maintain she needs a buff to be viable in Season 9 but Respawn have emphasised her high pick rate and relative strength. While the Apex developers seem reluctant to strengthen Wattson, at least beyond fixing problems with her fences, some fans still want to see her abilities made more powerful. One way would be to overhaul her passive. At the moment, Wattson has two passives: Spark of Genius, which fully charges her Ultimate with Ultimate Accelerants, and passive shield regeneration. However, one player has devised a third passive ability for Wattson – one that would tie into her passive shield repair too. Reddit user u/ryoiscreator suggested a new passive called ‘Charge’, which would allow players to carry extra Shield Cells and Shield Batteries. Specifically, it would give players the ability to carry an extra Shield Battery and two Shield Cells per inventory slot. While Wattson’s abilities currently focus on electricity and slowing enemies, this passive would enable her to carry considerably more healing equipment. The post garnered lots of support, sitting at over 14,000 upvotes at the time of writing. The change would broaden Wattson’s role, also enabling her to supply her teammates with more healing equipment. Whether Respawn envisage such a change as consistent with their plans for Wattson is another matter altogether, but it reiterates how many members of the community believe she needs a buff. She’s not necessarily a bottom-tier operator in Season 9, but she certainly falls below a number of the game’s characters. We might have to wait until Season 10 and new characters for Wattson to come into her own.

New Volt SMG finally coming to Apex Legends in Season 6 – Dexerto
New Volt SMG finally coming to Apex Legends in Season 6 Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer 2r7Ix61z] Apex Legends Season 6 Boosted has been revealed, and that means a lot of content is on its way – including the brand new Volt submachine gun. Respawn caught a lot of Apex fans by surprise on August 6 by rolling out a launch trailer and details about the upcoming Season 6, which is going to be called ‘Boosted.’ In addition to the new Legend, Rampart, as well as a crafting system, the devs also announced that there will be a new gun added – the Volt SMG. “Shocking new weapon: Volt,” they wrote. “Charge into battle with this energy SMG that packs a punch.” Fans of Respawn’s Titanfall series will recognize the Volt as a remake of the SMG that first debuted in Titanfall 2. In that game, the gun fired high energy bolts called blue tracers, which made it extremely effective in close quarters and medium-range gunfights. It remains to be seen what the devs decided to do with it for Apex Legends, but we do know it’ll remain an energy weapon, joining the Havoc, Devotion, L-STAR, and Charge Rifle as the fifth gun in that category. Furthermore, it’ll be the first SMG released post-launch, all of the other new weapons in Apex have either been assault rifles (Havoc), LMGs (L-STAR), or sniper rifles (Charge Rifle & Sentinel). The Volt has been a long time coming in Apex Legends; it was, in fact, found and leaked from the game’s back-end files way back in September of 2019, along with the CAR, another SMG from Titanfall 2. When Respawn announced that they would be making changes to energy weapons and ammo at the start of Season 4, many expected the new sub to be added then, but the devs went with the Sentinel sniper instead. Despite numerous leaks and speculation, it didn’t get added at the start of Season 5 either, because the devs opted not to release any new weapon, saying at the time, that “if we continue to add new weapons, the weapon pool will become saturated.” Now, obviously, that philosophy has changed for S6, which will be very welcome news for the player-base, many of whom have been asking for a new SMG for quite a while now. An #ApexLegends leak includes an epic skin for the unreleased Volt SMG, which could be the new Season 5 weapon. Do you want to see Respawn add this gun next? Via @The_Suum pic.twitter.com/R8Y38raG2v — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) May 6, 2020 You’ll be able to try out the Volt, Rampart, and everything else that’s new when Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted launches on Tuesday, August 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

New ultra-rare Wraith Heirloom ‘Voidwalker’ animation found in Season 16 – Dexerto
New ultra-rare Wraith Heirloom ‘Voidwalker’ animation found in Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentA new extremely rare Wraith Heirloom animation that references her alternate Voidwalker self from her lore has been discovered in Apex Legends Season 16. Apex Legends Season 16 has finally arrived and it’s introduced a huge amount of fresh content for the community to enjoy. Whether it’s the Nemesis AR, the TDM mode, or the redesigned Legend classes, it’s safe to say Revelry has shaken up the meta. Despite all these additions, it’s Wraith’s Heirloom that’s receiving the most attention, as the Kunai’s animations have been completely overhauled. While all of the new inspect interactions are incredible, an ultra-rare animation that references Wraith’s background lore has been discovered, and it’s leaving players speechless. Rare Wraith Heirloom animation references her Voidwalker lore With Revelry, Respawn has completely reworked Wraith Kunai with a fresh appearance and an array of satisfying inspect animations. However, as always, the devs have included a set of extremely rare interactions, and thanks to Apex YouTuber Grrt, we can finally take a look at one that takes hours to trigger. As showcased in the video, instead of pulling out the Kunai on her own, Wraith is handed the weapon by her alternate Voidwalker self. The hand appears from a portal and pushes the Interdimensional Skirmisher to grasp the Heirloom tightly. This animation directly references Wraith’s alternate Voidwalker self who helped her escape the IMC detention facility and learn to listen to the voices in her head. If you want to refresh your memory of the Interdimensional Skirmisher’s backstory, check the ‘Voidwalker’ Stories from the Outlands video here. It’s clear Respawn has put a huge amount of effort into this overhaul, so let’s hope more lore references are included in future Heirloom reworks.

New teaser found in Apex Legends could be for Crypto Town Takeover – Dexerto
New teaser found in Apex Legends could be for Crypto Town Takeover Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cf8U9voE]A strange banner discovered in Apex Legends could be a teaser for a new Town Takeover event coming to the game starring none other than the Surveillance Expert himself – Crypto. Town Takeover events are a fan-favorite tradition in Apex Legends where Respawn add brand new locations on the maps themed after specific Legends. So far we’ve seen these events for Octane, Wraith, Mirage, and most recently Bloodhound, but apart from plenty of speculation, there’s been no solid evidence or clues, until now, pointing to which character will be hosting the next one. On June 16, a new banner was spotted on King’s Canyon that had seemingly appeared unannounced and out of nowhere, covered in green numbers on a dark background. After a close look, the numbers seem to be part of a binary code, and once you translate the binary to English, you get “If you can see me I can,” which, admittedly, doesn’t really make much sense on its own. There are a few combinations of words you could throw in to make it work mad libs style, like ‘see you,’ ‘get you,’ ‘reach you,’ and each one really could work for Crypto and his drone, if that is what this clue is referencing. Apart from what the binary actually says or doesn’t say, the green-on-black Matrix-esque color scheme just screams “hacker,” which is what Crypto is famous for, so it does seem like we may have stumbled on the first official clue for the next Town Takeover. Exactly when this potential Crypto event will happen, or what it will consist of, remains to be seen, but it might be soon if teasers like this are already popping up. Clues for the last Takeover hosted by Bloodhound were discovered by players just a few days before the official announcement, which might also be the case here. Incidentally enough, shortly following the appearance of this would-be teaser, Respawn themselves made a cryptic announcement that they’d be revealing new content coming to the game at EA Play on Thursday, June 18, which could very well be when the next event is announced. 🚨 New #ApexLegends content will be revealed at EA Play! Thursday, June 18 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET!pic.twitter.com/ERQZxITLa8 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) June 16, 2020 The popular battle royal’s ongoing content dry spell has been well documented and players are getting more and more impatient, so a Crypto Town Takeover would be just what everyone needs. Like we mentioned before, there’s nothing directly tying this teaser to Crypto. But if you look at the writing on the wall (literally) it does seem like a very solid chance it’s him. Either way, it looks like we won’t have to wait very long to find out.

New skins for unreleased L-Star weapon leaked following Apex Legends account reset issues – Dexerto
New skins for unreleased L-Star weapon leaked following Apex Legends account reset issues Apex Legends players have been anticipating the long rumored L-Star to enter the game. While the gun has yet to officially make its appearance in the battle royale, a new leak has emerged giving the best look at the SMG. Due to the latest account resets that plagued Respawn Entertainment’s title, some players are being awarded Twitch Prime packs containing Rare and Legendary skins for the upcoming weapon. During the fallout of the account resets, leaker ‘RealApexLeaks’ collected images from a few players that show incredible designs for the yet-to-be-released weapon for the game. A few players were getting LStar skins before the servers went down. They prolly erased everything to remove the skins I guess. You’ll get back the rest of the stuff though. #ApexLegends #ApexLegendsleaks #ApexPartner #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #Apexlegendsseason1 pic.twitter.com/cyfsz3Nsp3 — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) April 3, 2019 Previous L-Star leaks gave players a pretty good idea of what the gun was going to look like, but the latest mishaps from the April 3 update provided detailed peeks for the upcoming SMG. “A few players were getting LStar skins before the servers went down,” RealApexLeaks said. “They probably erased everything to remove the skins I guess. You’ll get back the rest of the stuff though.” The two Legendary skins named ‘Apex Hyperdrive’ and ‘Alien Invasion’ come with distinct color patterns. Hyperdrive has an imposing red paint job with a slick black and white trim, while the Alien Invasion touts a purple and green design that’s out of this world. Reddit user ‘Electroshreddie’ had also received a skin for an unreleased weapon. Called the “Outback,” the Rare skin has a tan color striped with what seems to be long blades of grass. Even though Respawn had warned players not to “buy or craft anything” during the game’s latest issues, players still poked around Apex and Twitch Packs that dished out the new skins. Read more: The Ultimate Apex Legends Quiz – With all problems seemingly resolved, Respawn might double back and reclaim all of the leaked skins. Even so, players were still hyped to get the early glimpses of the new gun that is all but confirmed at this point. Apex Players are sure to flood the game now that servers have been restored, and will eagerly await the release of the L-Star along with the many leaked skins.

Sentinels confirm new Apex Legends player for ALGS Split 2 – Dexerto
Sentinels confirm new Apex Legends player for ALGS Split 2 Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSSentinels have confirmed the signing of Angello ‘Xenial’ Cadenas to replace Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy for the final round in the second split of the 2023 Apex Legends Global Series. After the second round of play in the North American ALGS league, fan-favorite RamBeau announced he was retiring from Apex Legends esports and Sentinels would sign a replacement. Hours after the team’s Battlefy roster revealed that the team would play with Xenial, Sentinels confirmed the 22-year-old’s signing. Oxygen Esports have not yet announced who will replace Xenial in the squad, with the team scheduled to return to action only on April 23. Xenial is an Apex Legends veteran and was with SpaceStation during their successful run in 2022, finishing the ALGS 2022 Championship in sixth place. SpaceStation exited the esport and released its roster in early 2023. The ALGS resumes on April 16 with Group A and B facing off. Sentinels are in Group A, while Oxygen are in Group C. The ALGS regular season in North America concludes on May 7. Mid-season Apex Legends roster shuffle continues for Sentinels The situation might also be more complicated as RamBeau revealed that he is returning to competitive play with Dark Zero, less than a month after announcing his retirement. Rambeau, along with Cole ‘Rkn’ Prommel and Keon ‘Keon’ Berghout, signed with Sentinels after the organization dropped its previous roster on January 23, 2023. The squad was searching for a new home after The Guard allowed them to look for other opportunities. Fans will be able to see how the ALGS mid-season roster shuffles play out as the teams return to the server on April 16. New Revenant leak in Apex Legends sparks rumors about Season 4 arrival – Dexerto
New Revenant leak in Apex Legends sparks rumors about Season 4 arrival Respawn EntertainmentA new leak from Apex Legends dataminer ‘That1MiningGuy’ gave fans a full look at Revenant, after the Legend was noticeably absent from the Season 4 dev stream on January 23. After the events of Season 3, mainly the Shadowfall LTM co-starring the mysterious mech and the mounting leaks, fans of the battle royale were sure that Revenant was next in line to be released into the Apex Games. But players were surprised when the biggest reveal was that Forge would actually be headlining the launch of Season 4 – that is until new clues surfaced pointing towards a double-release including Revenant. It seems like That1MiningGuy stumbled onto a featured image showcasing the Legend by changing a single character in the web address for an image asset on EA’s site. The clerical leak resulted in a clear view of the red robot holding a metal skull in front of a backdrop with skyscrapers and a volcano. This qualifies as a leak since it wasn’t officially unveiled by the devs, but the image is sourced directly from the EA site. Now, evidence is piling up that Respawn might be planning a two-Legend release either on Season 4’s launch or throughout the events of the game’s new chapter. Eagle-eyed Apex Legends fans spotted Revenant in the Season 4 web page, after people noticed that the Legend was noticeably absent from the new content coming to the game. Fans noticed a distortion in the background image of Season 4’s official site, and a quick outline for the glitched portion of the image revealed a silhouette that’s unmistakably linked to the character. The way Respawn has handled Legend releases so far has a few members of the community paranoid that the devs could be up to something. “I’ll probably end up being wrong but Forge came out of nowhere,” Apex loremaster ‘FrozenFroh’ said. “On the devstream, they use black and white for Forge’s Season 4, but in the end it changes to RED… Revenant had the Halloween tease and other datamines I won’t mention… I’m sure Forge is coming, but Revenant might be sooner than expected, and this might just be a double bamboozle.” The community was thrilled to see that Respawn slipped in a cheeky reference to a character previously introduced in the Apex cannon, but it’s starting to look like players could get two Legends in the new season.

New OP Apex Legends cheat forces players to reload their weapons & waste ammo – Dexerto
New OP Apex Legends cheat forces players to reload their weapons & waste ammo Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends cheat forces players to reload their weapons and waste their ammo as soon as they’ve been shot. Cheating is a major problem in every FPS title and Apex Legends is certainly no different, especially in Ranked. As a result, the community has called on Respawn to improve the game’s anti-cheat and overhaul the overall detection system so bans are sent out quicker. However, the devs are fighting an ongoing battle with hackers as the software is constantly becoming more advanced and giving users even more OP abilities. While aimbots are the most common form of hacks, a new cheat is now forcing players to reload their weapons and waste their ammo New OP Apex Legends cheat forces you to reload your gun Update: On March 3, a member of Respawn Entertainment’s security team, Connor Ford, tweeted that a fix for the force reload exploit is finished and will make its way to Apex Legends sometime this week. While Apex Legends cheaters have been using a myriad of exploits over the past few weeks, the force reload exploit is certainly the most documented. Hopefully, this fix results in fewer cheaters and a smoother gameplay experience overall. The original story is as follows: Apex Legends streamer gdolphin was taking on a squad of enemy players on Broken Moon in Ranked when something extremely strange started to happen. After being shot by the enemy players, his guns started to continuously reload even though he hadn’t pressed any inputs. This meant that every time he tried to shoot, it was interrupted by a reload animation, making it impossible to fight back. As showcased in the clip, this only began after gdolphin had been shot by the opposing squad, so it’s clear that the enemies are using new cheats that force their foes to reload. One of gdolphin’s squadmates even complained that the hacks forced them to drop their ammo. This meant that even if they managed to retreat, they wouldn’t have the resources to continue the skirmish. This just shows how advanced third-party software is becoming, as it now has the ability to control other players’ characters in a match. While Respawn hasn’t addressed this issue directly yet, the community is hoping they have a solution or anti-cheat improvements coming in the near future.

New Mobile Respawn Beacons coming to Apex Legends – how they work – Dexerto
New Mobile Respawn Beacons coming to Apex Legends – how they work Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer UQowmNq2]Next week’s Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event features new cosmetics, but also an Armed and Dangerous Evolved LTM that will debut an intriguing, long-awaited addition: Mobile Respawn Beacons. Respawn Beacons serve one of the most critical functions in Apex Legends, allowing you to bring back teammates who suffered the misfortune of early death. While bringing said fallen comrades back has been subject to static Beacon placement in the past, a brand-new item will change that, starting next week. EA and Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that Mobile Respawn Beacons will begin rolling out, exclusively during the LTM at first, before being introduced throughout Public and Ranked matches soon after. This follows a July 2019 leaked audio file that teased the existence of a “Portable Respawn Beacon.” While no one knew exactly what that leak meant or how these would function back then, we do now. Like Lifeline’s Care Package, a Mobile Respawn beacon is placed at a specific drop location and takes some time to drop from the sky. Once it has landed, looking like a miniature, bite-sized version of its traditional, unmoving counterparts, one person can be re-deployed. New mobile Respawn Beacons are coming in #ApexLegends! They’ll only be available in the Armed & Dangerous LTM at first, then added as regular loot in public & ranked matches 🤩 pic.twitter.com/KtiMwg0vaH — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) June 19, 2020 Since you seem to only get one use out of a Mobile Respawn Beacon and its not limited to just the team that deployed it, squads are sure to fight over them once the satellite deployment initiates. And that doubles for the Armed and Dangerous Evolved LTM, where these will be replacing the standard versions entirely for the mode’s duration. As for how you obtain these new items, they are simply being added to the game’s rotation of loot—meaning you can find them and store them for later. Thus far, it’s unclear if they take up more than one inventory slot or if you can carry multiple. Respawn have also confirmed that, after the Lost Treasures Collection event ends, Mobile Respawn Beacons will be added to the Season 5 loot pool across all matches, both Public and Ranked. Although squads will still be restricted by the need to obtain their fallen teammates’ Banner Cards, this should at least bring some flexibility to re-deployment and more new life, pun intended, to an upsurging battle royale.

New Mirage Town Takeover details leaked for Apex Legends – Dexerto
New Mirage Town Takeover details leaked for Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment have already had their next major Apex Legends in-game event leaked, Mirage’s Town Takeover, and now a few new details have been leaked ahead of schedule. The event, which is set to take place at some stage during the holiday season, is expected to bring a number of map changes to the popular battle royale game, just like previous Town Takeovers have in the past. As regular players of the title will know, the last one saw a huge portal appear in King’s Canyon. An unnamed location above Thermal Station and below Lava Fissure has been identified by leakers as a potential destination for the event, and now – thanks to That1MiningGuy – we now have some more information about what’s going to happen. The serial Apex Legends leaker has been digging through the game’s files and appears to have found the name of the new landing spot that will appear as part of the event, Sleek City. Respawn have still yet to offer any confirmation regarding the event and, at the time of writing, there’s also a lack of clues to be found in-game, too. However, that hasn’t stopped the data miner from uncovering some potential features for Sleek City, tweeting: “It has a hot tub, pork chops, lootball launchers, and fireworks… and something called lootcap.” Clearly, this would be a debut for all of those things mentioned, as they’ve all not yet featured in the Apex Games. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1204649409503547392 There hasn’t been any leaked images of the new Town Takeover event just yet, although with more and more information being added to the game’s files, there’s no doubt that it’s only a matter of time before That1MiningGuy gives us all a first-look at what to expect. What we do know, however, is that the Town Takeover map changes aren’t the only exciting things coming soon. Mirage will also be hosting a brand new Winter Express limited time mode, according to the same leaker, with That1MiningGuy suggesting there will be a Christmas-themed train added to the game soon. Whether or not Respawn will announce details regarding both the Town Takeover and leaked LTM in the near future remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like a whole lot of content is coming soon.

New leaked ‘Hoverbike’ vehicle could be coming to Apex Legends – Dexerto
New leaked ‘Hoverbike’ vehicle could be coming to Apex Legends Data miners sifting through the Apex Legends files have caught a glimpse of a new vehicle that will be making its way to the game in the near future. Respawn Entertainment’s first entry into the battle royale genre officially released on Monday, February 4, and has been an instant hit with fans, with the game hitting 25 million total players after its first week available. While fans have raved about the game since launch, it seems that Respawn aren’t entirely content with the current state of the game, and will be introducing a new vehicle into the mix. Currently, the only vehicle that players can gain access to in the game is the Supply Ship that hovers above the map, but can only obtain loot from it and cannot actually use it to travel around King’s Canyon. Now, a data miner, known as ApexGameInfo, has found evidence of a ‘Hoverbike’ that has been introduced to the game for developers, but not yet made available to the general player base. Very little is known about the upcoming vehicle, the file does mention their spawn and the physics to go along with them, so it’s likely that the items aren’t far away from being ready to release. LEAK: It seems like an “Hoverbike” is in the making and is only available to developers at the moment! (#Apex #ApexLegends) pic.twitter.com/GZYzEebHv3 — Apex – Info & Leaks (@ApexGameInfo) February 13, 2019 Update: New leaks have surfaced following the latest update on February 19, which give new details about the hoverbike. Leaker @RealApexLeaks found code which suggests the Hoverbike will be a three-person vehicle (suitable given three-man squads), with a driver and two passengers. LEAK: More details on the previously Leaked HoverBike. It’s called a “”Rodeo”” in the game files. It can away 3 players, 1 driver and 2 passengers. Also it has a description and a description of a Rodeo Driver.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsleaks #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale pic.twitter.com/PNqDRYRxC8 — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 19, 2019 However, more files pertaining to the Hoverbike also suggest that it is still in the development stage, with a number of ‘to do’s’ still outstanding. LEAK: The Hoverbike isn’t completely ready and the devs marked some files as a todo making me easy to locate them lol.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #ApexLegendsleaks pic.twitter.com/mIkE7WBg8A — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 19, 2019 The Hoverbike would be the first vehicle of its kind in Apex Legends, with the Launch Balloons that allow players to redeploy their jetpacks and fly to a new location being the closest thing to a vehicle in the game at the moment. There is currently no expected release date for the Hoverbike, and as with any leaks, there is no guarantee that the item will ever be made available to the public.

Two new hop-ups added to Apex Legends Season 9 for multiple weapons – Dexerto
Two new hop-ups added to Apex Legends Season 9 for multiple weapons Respawn EntertainmentTwo new Hop-ups are coming to Apex Legends Season 9 for three different weapons. Deadeye’s Tempo and Shatter Caps will help buff up your Sentinel, 30-30 Repeater, and Bocek Bow. Hop-ups can transform a good Apex Legends weapon into a beast. Everyone who’s been beamed by a Skullpiercer Wingman or Longbow can certainly attest to that. Even mediocre weapons like the Mozambique and P2020 have been helped out by new hop-ups in recent seasons. Now, Respawn are chucking a couple more in for good measure, targeting more long-range weaponry. New hop-ups: Deadeye’s Tempo & Shatter Caps The two new hop-ups, Deadeye’s Tempo and Shatter Caps, will not only help out the newly-released Bocek Bow, but also the Sentinel and 30-30 Repeater. Deadeye’s Tempo Weapons: Sentinel & Bocek Bow – Description: Firing at the perfect moment increases fire rate – Deadeye’s Tempo favors those who want to fire rapidly with the sniper and Bocek Bow. The Sentinel’s fire rate is known for being pretty slow, but each bullet packs a punch. If you can get into a rhythm with the Sentinel while charged up with Deadeye’s Tempo, you can shred enemies. The same goes for the Bocek Bow. The hop-up will definitely improve its ability to take mid-range fights, being able to burst down an enemy in the blink of an eye. To keep you on time, there is a small blue indicator on the screen that will show if you are in the ‘zone’ for the shot to be fired, and keep your fire rate faster. Shatter Caps Weapons: Bocek Bow & 30-30 Repeater Description: Rounds split into a blast pattern on firing – Shatter Caps allows long and medium-range weapons like the Bow and 30-30 to be more viable at close range. Shatter Caps splits each shot into six projectiles. Damage per projectile is reduced pretty heavily, however, it can do a ton of work up close. Read More: Full details on Apex Legends Season 9 – The addition will make both the Bow and the 30-30 Repeater useful at mid-range as well as up close. The Heavy gun has isn’t everyone’s favorite since its addition in Season 8, so the hop-up will certainly come in handy. Apex Legends Season 9 will launch on May 4. The update will introduce new Legend Valkyrie, the aforementioned Bocek Bow weapon, a new-look Olympus, and more.

New Graffiti Mod Hop-Up added in Apex Legends – how it works – Dexerto
New Graffiti Mod Hop-Up added in Apex Legends – how it works GhostSystemDE via Reddit / Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cgdaanpd] As part of the Always Be Closing Evolved LTM, a new Hop-Up has been added in Apex Legends called the ‘Graffiti Mod’ and it’s giving people the ability to light up the Arena with a fresh coat of paint. With Season 6 on the horizon, Respawn have been providing more clues about where they want to take the game in the next chapter. Players have already caught wind of the nods to Apex Games’ creator Blisk as well as upcoming Legend, Rampart. This includes graffiti portraits and messages around the Arena that were originally pegged as teasers for the new character. It looks like Respawn are continuing that trend with the next Hop-Up for the Spitfire that gives it lethal ‘paintballs’ to shoot. The attachment is simply called the ‘Graffiti Mod’ and, as far as we can tell, it’s currently only available for the Spitfire, giving the LMG an increased magazine size and reload speed. It also stocks the gun up with paint-loaded rounds that burst into color as soon as they make impact. Once selected and equipped, your gun will discharge purple, yellow, green, or random color pellets that can be toggled with B or the left button on a D-Pad. As of now, the attachment is only available in the Always Be Closing Evolved LTM, and it’s unclear if the Respawn intends this to be a permanent feature in Apex Legends, but it has a few too many connections to Rampart for it to be totally temporary. Not only has the new Legend’s appearance been literally marked with graffiti throughout the Apex Games, but the Graffiti Mod also shared direct nods to her appearance in the Season 6 Boosted Launch trailer. When hovering on the Graffiti Mod, the icon that distinguishes the attachment is the encircled ‘R’ that can be seen in front of Rampart’s shop and branded on her armor. This could be a way for the studio to get players hyped for the upcoming Legend by integrating some of the firepower that her ability kit will provide with a new item attachment. Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted will launch on Tuesday, August 18 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

New construction flags in Apex Legends hint at major map change – Dexerto
New construction flags in Apex Legends hint at major map change Respawn Entertainment / Alexandros Iosifidis – DisplateSeven new construction flags have appeared near Hydro Dam on Kings Canyon, leading to speculation about Apex Legends’ latest Town Takover. There has been some changes made to the Apex Legends map, hinting at a major alteration coming to King’s Canyon in the near future. Seven construction flags and eight warnings signs have been added around the Shattered Forest, with fans speculating it could be for another Town Takeover. Reddit user ‘FrozenFroh’ found the conspicuous construction flags near Hydro Dam on August 27. It’s suspected the town takeover will be for Wraith as an expansion of her lore, incorporating underground elements into the Northern end of the map. “Determined to uncover her true identity, Wraith began a quest to find out more about the experiments,” says her bio on the official Apex site. “Many of the old research facilities, however, are buried beneath heavily guarded arenas used for the Apex Games.” Previously, as part of the Iron Crown event, Octane had a Town Takover out by the Thunderdome, decking out that section of the map with speed-related obstacles to fit the theme of his character. Read more: Apex Legends Iron Crown update – After the release of Octane’s Town Takover, Apex’s Director of Product Management Lee Horn said that the developers were looking at ways to incorporate each individual Legend into the map. “We’re always looking for new ways to weave Legend personalities into the map, and this change will remain part of Kings Canyon even after the event ends.” These map changes help keep the game fresh while also tying characters’ lores back to the Kings Canyon. It also makes for a great hot dropping zone after they go live as players check out the new areas on the map. Read more: Immortal abilities leaked – This isn’t the first major Apex Legends leak in the last 24 hours though. Dataminers uncovered the abilities for two new legends—Jericho and Immortal—adding another tank and support into the mix. So, if you are a fan of Wraith in Apex Legends, keep an eye out around the Shattered Forest as your favorite character might be next on the list for a town takeover.

New Explosives Expert character would make awesome addition to Apex Legends – Dexerto
New Explosives Expert character would make awesome addition to Apex Legends Reddit u/designty / RespawnAn Apex Legends player has created a concept for a new character called ‘Fuse,’ whose expertise in explosives would make him an interesting addition to the game’s pool of playable Legends. One of the aspects of Apex Legends that makes it unique to other battle royale titles is the fact that each of the nine playable characters, called Legends, offers its own set of Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate Abilities. With Respawn Entertainment already having confirmed that more Legends are on the way, what would be a better addition than Fuse, a concept character created by Reddit user ‘designty.’ Remote Detonator Tactical Ability According to the concept, Fuse’s Tactical Ability would be called Remote Detonator, allowing him to remotely detonate any and all ordinances, or explosives, in his inventory, as opposed to the default mechanic of them exploding on their own. In order to prevent this ability from being too overpowered, there would be a three second cooldown period enforced, which would mitigate the threat of spam detonations. Stockpile Passive Ability Fuse’s Passive Ability would be called Stockpile, which would allow “ordinances to be carried in stacks of three in your inventory,” all of which would be able to be remotely detonated using the Tactical Ability. Essentially, this would give players the capability of carrying a lot more ordinances than they normally might be willing to, which makes sense considering Fuse is a “explosives expert.” Thermite Drone Ultimate Ability Last but not least, the Fuse’s Ultimate Ability would be called Thermite Drone, allowing the Legend to deploy an explosive drone that would “patrol a small proximity and seek out any enemies that enter it, exploding into thermite.” This would, in essence, be similar to the Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap ability, as it would provide a defensive cover on a certain small area of the map where the Drone would be dropped. Would Fuse work in Apex Legends? Judging my the tremendous feedback the concept has gotten on Reddit, it’s safe to assume that the player would love to see a character like Fuse added to Apex Legends. One popular change to the concept that was proposed on Reddit was that the Thermite Drone should have something that gives its position away, like a noise or flashing light, so that it doesn’t become too overpowered of a trap. It would be interesting to see whether he would be categorized as a defensive Legend, because of the Thermite Drone, or an offensive one, because of the ability to remotely detonate ordinances.

How the new Evo Shield works in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How the new Evo Shield works in Apex Legends EARespawn Entertainment have introduced the Evo Shield in Apex Legends Season 4, as part of the System Override Collection Event that launched on March 3. The new System Override Collection Event introduced new content and changes in Apex Legends, such as the Evo Shield – a new type of equipment that will completely change up the meta. Traditionally, any armor you have on in Apex Legends remains the same throughout the match, but this new piece will actually get stronger as you eliminate enemies. It changes colors to become stronger as you dish out more damage on non-downed enemy players and it actually has the potential to become stronger than the Epic Body Shield. The devs didn’t reveal the damage dealt threshold players will have to reach, so there’s a chance it could end up being harder to level up than it sounds, but that remains to be seen. The progression of the armor will transfer between players, which means that you can actually take a leveled-up version from another player if you eliminate them and loot their death box. The only catch, and it’s a considerable one, is that Evo Shields are currently only available in the new Deja Loot limited-time mode, which was also introduced as part of the System Override event. However, that said, Respawn have made it clear that they would be willing to consider adding it to the game’s main core default modes if player feedback is positive enough. So think of this LTM as a testing ground for the new armor, and only time will tell if it’ll ever get added to the permanent playlists. Is this the leaked evolving shield? It certainly sounds like this is an item we’ve known about ahead of time, and now, it’s finally making its way to the game. Information about this evolving shield was first revealed by YouTuber The Gaming Merchant all the way back in September, so it seems clear that Respawn had ideas for this for quite a while now. With the System Override Collection Event just having kicked off, it’s still too early to tell whether or not players are liking this new type of body armor. As always, we’ll make sure to bring you the latest news if and when Respawn make any further announcements about it.

New details about Pathfinder Heirloom set leaked in Apex Legends – Dexerto
New details about Pathfinder Heirloom set leaked in Apex Legends RespawnPathfinder is all but confirmed as the next legend to receive a premium Heirloom set in Apex Legends, after new datamined information revealed a number of details about the robot’s animations and effects. According to code leaks revealed by data-miner That1MiningGuy combined with a previously revealed image of boxing gloves, the Forward Scout will likely have an Heirloom skin stylized similarly to the old Rock ‘Em, Sock ‘Em plastic robot fighters. Heirlooms are one of the most valuable cosmetic items in Apex, and can’t be crafted or purchased through the shop. They’re only available through loot boxes, and at a small percentage chance at that, so it makes sense Respawn would go all-in on an iconic theme for Pathfinder’s first ultra-rare release. So far, Wraith, Bloodhound, and Lifeline have been bestowed the fancy cosmetics, with each leaning heavily into parts of their character—Lifeline boasts shining drumsticks, Wraith wields a kunai knife, and Bloodhound gained a deadly axe. Pathfinder Heirloom next? #ApexLegends pic.twitter.com/fJKh2dirvv — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) November 5, 2019 After data-miner Shrugtal leaked the boxing gloves, many doubted the veracity of the information, and instead suggested the robot character would likely have an ice pick, which he wielded in his concept art, as an heirloom item. The image from the game files depicts a pair of brightly-colored boxing gloves that feature a smiley face exactly like Pathfinder’s chest-computer images, and a cartoonish “POW!” across the wrists of the potential Heirloom cosmetic. Now, That1MiningGuy’s own code leaks have all but confirmed it was right, with keywords like “jab,” “melee,” and “draw fist” appearing in code added to the game after Apex’s latest major update on December 3. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1201973292812378117 It seems like not only will Pathfinder be donning the boxing gloves with his Heirloom set, but there are also a few other things included too, namely a mention of “Easter” based around melee and sprint animations. Maybe a new event next year? So when is Pathfinder’s Heirloom being released? Respawn has yet to officially announce when Pathfinder’s Heirloom set will be joining the game, or even that he will be getting one, but there’s a good chance the ultra-rare cosmetic pack is coming alongside the game’s next LTM event. Considering Bloodhound received theirs during the divisive Iron Crown event on August 13, and Lifeline’s dropped two months later on October 15 amid Halloween’s Fight or Fright, it makes sense for the next pack to drop mid-December. As luck, or perfect planning from Respawn, would have it, the next limited-time mode—a Mirage-themed ‘Winter Express’ Train event—has already been leaked through the game’s code as well, adding to the likelihood we’ll see Pathfinder’s Heirloom set this month. It can be confirmed that, like past releases, the new set will require players to collect all 24 packs Holo-Day Bash Collection packs, before the ultra-rare cosmetics are added to the loot pool with a less than 1% chance post-event. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1201972332849438726 While some may have been hoping the robot scout’s next addition to the game was similar to this interesting skin-bug that looked like a Legendary outfit, most will be pleased to see the much-loved character bestowed his Heirloom box gloves. It’s not the only cosmetic Pathfinder is receiving soon either, with confirmation a Star Wars Jedi crossover event will be turning the legend into a carbon copy, color-wise at least, of Fallen Order protagonist Cal Kestis’ little sidekick droid BD-1.

New data reveals Apex Legends’ revenue in best month since launch – Dexerto
New data reveals Apex Legends’ revenue in best month since launch Thanks to new data from SuperData Research, it has been revealed that Apex Legends has experienced its best financial month since its launch, cementing its place as one of EA’s most profitable games. Apex Legends launched in February 2019 and has gone from strength to strength, captivating players and regularly adding new content. It followed Fortnite Battle Royale’s formula of being free for all players, with seasonal content and optional DLC. Now in its third season, the game’s financial records for October 2019 show its strongest month since launch, nearly trebling the money it generated in September. The data comes from SuperData Research and shows the highest-grossing titles based on console, PC or Mobile. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tops the list for console, while League of Legends comes out on top for PC. However, Apex Legends experienced its best month since launch, generating a whopping $45 million from in-game spending alone, combining both console and PC. This is nearly treble the $16 million Apex Legends generated in September. While there is no detailed breakdown provided, the staunch increase in revenue is likely down to the release of Season 3 on October 1, which provided players with a plethora of new content. SuperData’s consensus reads: “Respawn’s shooter has clearly grown into an important growth driver for EA since its launch in February, although we note that total lifetime revenue still comes in slightly below 50% of Ultimate Team over that same period.” It is also unsurprising that it falls below FIFA, given the fact that EA’s soccer simulation has had years to cement itself as the world’s most popular football game, and features an infamously lucrative microtransaction model. Away from Apex Legends, the data showed that 2K’s latest NBA game continues to struggle in terms of in-game spending, and CoD Mobile is proving as popular as it was when it first launched, with an estimated $57m revenue in October. Despite its strongest financial month since launch, Apex Legends only comes in at ninth on the list of Console games, while not even making the top 10 for PC. This won’t dampen spirits at Respawn however, who continue to see improvements in their game’s performance.

New Apex Legends weapon Ramage LMG coming in Season 10: Emergence – Dexerto
New Apex Legends weapon Ramage LMG coming in Season 10: Emergence Respawn/EARespawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’ve got an all-new LMG coming in Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence, and it’s known as the Rampage LMG. Ever since Apex Legends first launched over two years ago, Respawn have been added new content on a regular basis – be it through their major new season updates, or the Collection Events. Aside from new maps, legends, and cosmetics, the biggest thing that players look for is a possible new weapon to really shake up the battle royale’s ever-changing meta. In Season 9, Respawn dropped the long-awaited Bow into the weapon pool, and in Season 10, they’re bringing another long-awaited addition to the party. The new weapon come in the form of an LMG, and as you might expect, it’s got Rampart’s fingerprints all over it. Read More: What is ‘Tropics’ in Apex Legends? – It’s not the long-awaited ‘Dragon’ LMG though, as Respawn have confirmed that this will be called the Rampage LMG. “Meet Rampart’s newest invention, the Rampage LMG, with a surprising source of firepower,” the teaser description reads. That surprising source of firepower might be the previously leaked explosive ammo type, but that’s unconfirmed as of now. While the weapon’s arrival to the game may be confirmed, we don’t have any details about its stats or any other surprises that it might have. With it being a new weapon, it’s likely to start out life as ground loot rather than being in Supply Drops, but we’ll know more when Respawn starts dishing out more information about Season 10 in the near future.

New Apex Legends weapons and animations leaked ahead of Season 3 – Dexerto
New Apex Legends weapons and animations leaked ahead of Season 3 RespawnAn Apex Legends dataminer has uncovered some brand new weapon animations and voice lines that could hit Kings Canyon in the near future. Apex Legends players are gearing up for the arrival of season three, which is reportedly set to be named as Fire and Ice. However, as has been the case with previous seasons, details and new content has gotten out before the official launch of the new campaign. That’s been no different this time around as one data miner has been able to show off some brand-new weapons, and their animations and voice lines. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Smurfson showed off a video that they had complied of some unseen weapons being loaded animations – complete with certain characters calling out the location of the weapon. The video included the Archer, Sidewinder SMR, EPG-1, Charge Rifle, R-6P Softball AAGL, Volt, as well as animation for a Data Knife and Data hack. Of course, some of these weapons could very well be holdovers from the Titanfall series, but others have also been leaked to appear in season three. The Volt, which is an SMG, was revealed back on September 11 – just before data miners were able to get their hands on details about season three’s name and battle pass. New content like legends and weapons have been added with the start of a new season, but it remains to be seen as to when players will be able to grab the Volt SMG. While others could be rehashes of their Titanfall versions, that doesn’t that their appearances can be discounted right away. In season three, players may very well get to grips with a long-awaited player vs environment mode which apparently will see those Titans from Titanfall be used after months of rumors and speculation. However, this is all subject to change and it could just be that Respawn has in-game files that had been used to test aspects of Titanfall in Apex Legends – like they previously confirmed with the Titans. Until you’re running around Kings Canyon and fighting off enemies – be that in online play or PVE – it’s best to take these leaks with a pinch of salt as something can always change at the last moment.

New Apex Legends update makes big change to Heat Shields in Season 8 – Dexerto
New Apex Legends update makes big change to Heat Shields in Season 8 Respawn EntertainmentA new update for Apex Legends on March 23 has introduced a few changes to the heat shield as Respawn continues to tinker with the battle royale’s newest item. First thing is first, Respawn have put the Heat Shields back into the regular loot pool in both regular and ranked playlists, so players can actually find the survival item back in the game. But they’ve been slightly nerfed since the last time Apex Legends players got to use them, with the devs making changes to how players can heal within its radius. Respawn have been pushing some of these micro patches more frequently to address some of Apex’s more pressing issues so catch up on what the latest update includes. Heat Shield update There wasn’t any significant downtime for the latest patch to Apex Legends, but it’s going to unlock Heat Shields since they were disabled in ranked and private matches on March 12. However, along with multiple fixes since being disabled, Heat Shields have been nerfed and will no longer have fast-heal while in the item’s dome of protection. While the passive was given to the item to help players heal up while avoiding the dreaded damage ticks that came from being outside of the zone, there’s been other uses that Respawn might be responding to. Apex Legends players found that the Heat Shields’ passive were extremely helpful in the late game situations, but the devs have done away with it since bringing them back. New Apex Legends tool automatically records your interactions with popular streamers – Dexerto
New Apex Legends tool automatically records your interactions with popular streamers If you were ever trying to quickly capture your experience against a streamer in Apex Legends, this newly created tool will make things a lot easier for you. Apex Legends has numerous large streamers that play on Twitch including Dr Disrespect, Michael ‘shroud‘ Grezsiek, and Coby ‘dizzy‘ Meadows, just to name a few. If you’re an avid player of the game, then you might have come across them in one way or another, and interacted with them. When this happens, players will want to find out what the other streamer said about them or even share a clip with friends if they were able to pull off a sick play. The tool… Instead of having to search through a streamer’s VOD or clips, this new tool will allow you to just type in your name, and it’ll find your interaction with them for you to easily record it. This is a much easier method than capturing moments, so if you’re ever in a game with a big streamer, it’s certainly something to keep in mind. This tool, which can be found here, is being created by Reddit user Gaploid. It works by watching streams, and keeping track of kills, knocks, assists and anything else related to the game at all times. Typing in your in-game name will find if you’ve ever had an interaction with a streamer, and it will reveal it to you, taking away much of the heavy lifting you’d have to do otherwise. Read More: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Apex Legends. In the future, the tool will expand to include other languages and even more streamers. –

New Apex Legends test shows hitboxes are still messed up – Dexerto
New Apex Legends test shows hitboxes are still messed up Since Apex Legends came out in February of 2019, players have been complaining about various legends’ hitboxes and it seems there are still some lingering issues. Pathfinder’s hitbox issues have been there from the beginning, first he had one of the biggest hitboxes in the game and after an update on May 20, it seems to be even more inconsistent. Reddit user sun-devil2021 posted a video of a test to Pathfinder’s current hitbox, that appears to show how difficult parts of the legend can be to hit. Hit him if you can Sun-devil tested the “broken” hitbox during a match along with a cooperative teammate playing Pathfinder, somehow all while not getting ambushed by an enemy team. As a control, they also shot at a teammate playing as Octane, which helped show how deceiving Pathfinder’s hitbox can actually be. Where Octane takes damage where you would expect on the model, nearly half of the shots aimed at Pathfinder seem to pass through harmlessly. Even though Respawn has made updates to hitboxes and hit detection, obviously things still don’t seem to be ideal, at least for people who aren’t Pathfinder players. What’s new in Apex Legends? Respawn recently shared details about the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass, which is expected to go live next week, possibly on Tuesday, June 4. Besides new cosmetic content, Season 2 will also introduce the Apex Elite Queue, which puts players in a different match queue after they place in the top 5, all against other top 5 players. It appears Respawn has been aware of fan’s complaints as far as content goes, but we’ll have to see how long it takes them to address the apparently still broken hitboxes.

New Apex Legends teasers found for Bloodhound Town Takeover & Prowlers – Dexerto
New Apex Legends teasers found for Bloodhound Town Takeover & Prowlers Respawn EntertainmentTeasers have been added to the World’s Edge map in Apex Legends revealing new details about the upcoming Bloodhound Town Takeover event, as well as the mysterious creatures called Prowlers that could be added soon. Town Takeovers are a fun tradition in Apex Legends, allowing Respawn Entertainment to add whole new locations on the maps themed after specific Legends. There have been a few of these so far since the game’s release, including one for Octane, Wraith, and, most recently, Mirage, which came during the winter season in the form of the Holo-Day Bash. According to leaks and speculation, the next one will be for Bloodhound and will debut around Eastertime, which means that it’ll likely be themed after the holiday as well. On March 31, Respawn added the first teasers for the event, in the form of flags marking where the Town Takeover will likely be located on the map. These flags were placed on the mountains around Sniper’s Ridge, which is a series of hills and ridges in the northwest corner of the map. That was not the only teaser that the devs surprised fans with; they also put a dead body of what appears to be some sort of lizard-like creature that’s never been seen before in Apex Legends. While not yet confirmed, this mysterious beast is most likely a Prowler – an alien species that originated in Respawn’s Titanfall series and seems to be on its way to the Apex universe. There had been plenty of leaks surrounding Prowlers over the past few weeks, including details about their animations, but this is the first time one’s actually been seen in-game. Of course, this didn’t come as a total surprise to those who have been paying attention to leaks, as prominent Apex dataminer iLootGames did let fans know ahead of time that something was coming. In his video, which we’ve included below, he goes through each flag location and offers several close looks at the dead Prowler. Other than the flag locations, not too much more is known about Bloodhound’s Town Takeover, although we do now know that the alien creatures will probably play some sort of role. As for when it’ll launch, the likeliest date is April 7, since Respawn usually release these kinds of updates on Tuesdays, and this gives them a whole week to put out more teasers before unveiling the whole thing. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest news and info as they become available.

New Apex Legends teaser possibly reveals more about Revenant’s backstory – Dexerto
New Apex Legends teaser possibly reveals more about Revenant’s backstory Respawn EntertainmentA new teaser for Apex Legends dives into the backstory of a simulacrum believed to be Revenant, and could be hinting at the mysteries players will unravel in Season 5. The single teaser is a scientific briefing from experiments with ‘PROJECT 617’ that is on trail 7578. Though there isn’t a ton of flash and excitement that usually accompanies a presumed look into the next season, it paints a morbid picture of the process that turns someone into a simulacrum. There are strong links between a character suspected to be Loba and her quest for revenge on Revenant, who murdered her parents as seen in the Season 4 Assimilation launch trailer. This new teaser could be a file on Revenant, or an earlier test subject, and their time during the simulacrum transformation, which revealed a bit more about the torturous process that the experiments had to endure. Previous teasers showed someone doing research on Project 617. The prevailing thought is that this person is Loba, who would have clear motivations to discover as many weaknesses about simulacrums as possible. The file revealed that a simulacrum is neither android or cyborg, rather they “fall somewhere between cyborgs and androids on the spectrum of organic to inorganic life.” 📁 PROJECT 617 > 📁 DOCUMENTS > 📁 DATA >> 📄TRIAL_7578 pic.twitter.com/ryogF8U5dR— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) April 29, 2020 For someone looking to take down a hysterical robotic assassin, this would be a crucial piece of intel since it hints that Revenant’s kind can be destroyed, at least in theory. Though that will be challenging since the scientists at Hammond Robotics might have used a “Remote Network Intermediary” in the form of organic storage to successfully create simulacrums. In either case, someone with Loba’s talents and abilities would be smart enough to do her research before executing a plot against the target of her revenge. As the build-up to the next season continues to develop, there are sure to be new pieces of information on Revenant’s kind that the community, as well as Loba, will find out along the way. While these story teasers don’t directly correlate into the Apex Legends’ gameplay, per se, it could give a glimpse at the type of world events that will unfold in the next season of the battle royale.

New Apex Legends skins and cosmetics leaked from December 3 update – Dexerto
New Apex Legends skins and cosmetics leaked from December 3 update Respawn Entertainment dropped a brand-new update for Apex Legends on Tuesday, December 3, and data miners have leaked a host of skins and cosmetic items for fans of the game to enjoy. Especially during Season 1, cosmetic items were a major point of contention for players of the popular battle royale title, with many claiming that the skins the developers released were boring, and calling on them to be a little more creative with their offerings. Since then, Respawn have listened to fan criticism and released lots of exciting and creative skins, and that looks set to continue thanks to new leaks from @That1MiningGuy, who sifted through the December 3 update files to find what’s coming next to the game. It seems that players will have plenty of new cosmetics to get their hands on in the coming weeks, with almost 200 cosmetic items spotted in the game’s files following the update. All of the game’s Legends will receive multiple new skins, giving them a fresh look as they battle around the World’s End map, while many of your favorite weapons will also receive new coats of paint and lots of weapon charms to hang off the side and allow players to show their personality. There are even some new icons and banners to give your game that final, personal touch, and you can view all of the leaked skins and cosmetics in the image below. Had to rip it with other non-conventional methods. but here’s the store file. pic.twitter.com/QdQUSDQ5gh — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) December 3, 2019 While the leaked cosmetics are now in the game’s files, there is no guarantee that all of them will see the light of day, and there is currently no confirmed release date for players to look forward to. The items were found in the game’s files following Tuesday’s December 3 update, which introduced a new progression system, changes to Firing Range and more.

New Apex Legends Season 5 teaser reveals major map change – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Season 5 teaser reveals major map change Respawn/EAApex Legends players believe that a number of map changes for Kings Canyon in Season 5 have been teased right under their noses, but will they be proven right? For a few weeks now, Apex Legends players have been gearing up for season five – uncovering apparent teases for the next legend to join the battle royale roster. All roads seem to lead to Loba on that front, though plenty of other fans want more changes. There have been rumors about an all-new map for the next season, however, it appears as if there will just be changes to current maps – with Kings Canyon taking the focus here as players believe that they’ve uncovered the secret to what seems to be beneath the surface. After the first season five teaser went live on April 17, some players were left confused by the image they were seeing, as it depicted part of a map but without any real clues that gave away what was happening. However, Reddit user OrcusDei appears to have cracked the code. They revealed the red building in the image is actually Labs from Kings Canyon, with the Redditor even going as far as pointing out the small room where Crypto was spotted back in season two. With a new dome area appearing behind the labs in these teases, the image appears to suggest that the locked door players found a few weeks back will open up and lead to the new area – seemingly giving Kings Canyon an underground section to play with. Of course, no one can be certain that the area would be entirely underground, with some fans suggesting that it will be uncovered in a way that lets players enter from the usual above ground level. However, with more teasers apparently on the way ahead of season five, we’ll just have to wait and see what Respawn teases us with. The next one might be even more revealing.

New Apex Legends Season 2 teaser hints at “wildlife intrusions,” activates Repulsor Tower – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Season 2 teaser hints at “wildlife intrusions,” activates Repulsor Tower Respawn EntertainmentDevelopers Respawn Entertainment have released another teaser for the second season of Apex Legends, giving players a hint at what they can expect. With the highly anticipated Season 2 of Apex Legends fast approaching, players are getting more and more excited about the flurry of new content and changes coming to the game. Despite a lot of information about the new season having already been announced by Respawn, there is still much that’s been left unclear, giving the developers at least some things to tease and drop hints about. The latest teaser came on June 25, in the form of a tweet that contained some sort of ‘Service Report’ for the Repulsor Tower location on the map. The teaser identifies an issue with the location, stating that there are “wildlife intrusions into arena. Standard wear and tear.” :file_folder: SERVICE REQUESTS > :file_folder: REPULSOR TOWER >> :page_facing_up: COMPLETE pic.twitter.com/WPSIkErW2F— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) June 25, 2019 Around the same time that this teaser was tweeted out, the Repulsor Tower was turned on in-game, with its numerous wings starting to rotate at various speeds. This is yet another hint that something big is likely set to go down at the location, although players will have to probably wait until the launch of Season 2 to see exactly what that is. What does this all mean? Of course, in some ways, these teasers and hints raise just as many questions as they answer, with players wondering what exactly Respawn have in store for the start of the next season. There are some definite parallels that exist between these teasers and leaks that have surfaced over the past few weeks, which also point to the Repulsor Tower being involved in some sort of in-game event. According to game files dug up by data-miners and Apex enthusiasts, the Repulsor Tower will be ‘hacked’ at the end of Season 1, causing it to let a lot of water and creatures into King’s Canyon, leading to significant changes to the map. These files suggest that a yet-to-be-announced Legend named Crypto will be doing the hacking with his powerful laptop, leading many to believe that he could also make his debut in Season 2, alongside the already-confirmed Wattson. When does Apex Legends Season 2 release? Season 2 of Apex Legends is expected to launch on July 2, 2019, and will include a brand new battle pass, the newest Legend Wattson, the long-awaited L-STAR weapon, and much more.

New Apex Legends Season 15 teasers hint at upcoming map and Legend – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Season 15 teasers hint at upcoming map and Legend RespawnFresh Apex Legends Season 15 teasers continue to hint at the upcoming season’s map and Legend, as well as pointing to the involvement of the National Alliance of Boreas and referencing the butterfly effect. Apex Legends Season 15 is fast occupying the minds of Respawn’s BR player base, with new seasons typically bringing the most significant updates. Currently, a lot remains unclear about the content we’ll receive. Barring any delays, we expect Season 15 to go live on November 1 and bring Catalyst, a ferro fluid wielding character, to the Apex Games. On October 14 and 15, we received two brand new teasers, the latest in a series that is fostering fan excitement ahead of the Season’s drop. New Apex Legends teaser hints at Boreas map The first took the form of a poster, showing a planet aesthetically similar to Earth with butterflies emerging from a large crater on its surface. The text on the poster reads: “Doing your part creates a butterfly effect. We can save this planet together.” The official Apex Legends account also responded in good humor to a fan who pointed to the obvious “hole” on the planet’s surface. It was interpreted by some as a hint that the planet’s core and innards might tie into its place in the Apex story. The ‘butterfly effect’ is a real-life philosophical concept that suggests small changes can have dramatic and tangible consequences further down the line. A second teaser also pointed towards Boreas and its moon, with a number of people propping up a damaged and smashing eye. The caption reads: “Save our moon and save ourselves! We look to you”. Although Boreas is not name-dropped in the poster, the Outlands planet has long been associated with moths and is well known for its surface’s imperfections; the result of chaotic and violent atmospheric conditions. It is the home planet of Season 10 Legend Seer (who also bears the mark of a moth), so it could also be a hint at a deeper dive into his background in the future. Past leaks have suggested a ‘moon’ map could be in store. Boreas has a damaged moon called Cleo, which is said to contribute to its atmospheric conditions. Naturally, this speculations remains just that, and will stay as such until Respawn officially reveal Season 15 details. With teasers piling up, we shouldn’t have to wait all that much longer.

New Apex Legends Revenant finishers, gladiator cards revealed – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Revenant finishers, gladiator cards revealed New Apex Legends leaks have confirmed more details on the mysterious Revenant coming to the battle royale soon, including the ghoulish robot’s finisher, and a number of details on its gladiator card. After the unreleased Legend was first teased by reputable data miner That1MiningGuy back in August, it seems like the evil mastermind behind the game’s recent Shadowfall LTM mode is on the verge of dropping into World’s Edge. Following a host of major changes to his character’s game files, including abilities and skins in Apex’s November update v3.1, data miners have found more information that reveals exactly how the robot will finish his enemies, and show off his honors. According to the leaks, Revenant will have a host of interesting animations on his gladiator card, including poses depicting him praying and in contemplation, pretending to be a scarecrow, and balancing upside down. More interesting, however, is the character’s seemingly brutal Finishers that have also been leaked in the code, including an ‘Impale’ detail that suggests the Legend will make quick work of his enemies with a blade or sword. Read more: Mirage-themed ‘Winter Express’ Train LTM leaked in Apex Most of his code entries depicted details like “lurk” and “assassin,” suggesting the shadowy combatant’s closing moves will be based around finishing off his enemies from unseen locations, similar to his rumored abilities. There was also an image of what appears to be Revenant’s character icon included in the new data. The image shows the legends’ skeletal face with shadowy versions behind him, potentially confirming his now-removed leaked abilities. If data revealed last month is to be believed, the new legend could be using two ‘stances’ the player changes between, meaning the Synthetic Nightmare would switch between a Regular and a Shadow mode, depending on what’s needed. Read more: Apex Dec 3 patch notes: progression, Firing Range change, more His first stance included the following abilities: Passive: Infiltrator – Climb walls higher and crouch walk faster – Mark for Death – Fire a poison dagger. Press again to reveal the target’s location for up to 60 seconds. The mark is removed if the target heals to full. – Poison Bomb – Launch a Poison Bomb that damages and slows targets hit. This skill will likely deal Area of Effect (AoE) damage. – Death Recall – Drop a totem that protects anyone who uses it from death. Instead of getting killed or downed, you’ll return to the totem with 20 health. – The new legend also had a second set of abilities, his ‘shadow stance’ powers, which have now been trimmed from the game files since the v3.1 update—either because Respawn wants to hide the surprise, or because that idea has been culled. Revenant’s shadow abilities were listed in the game files as: Passive: Infiltrator – Climb walls higher and crouch walk faster – Shadow Walk – Walk silently and faster for 6 seconds. Cooldown resets on kill. – Shadow Step – Send out a shadow Revenant. Press (button) again to teleport to shadow. Cooldown resets on kill. – Shadow Door – Create a doorway through walls. Lasts 5 seconds. – As well as the character’s leaked abilities—which could still change before release—players have already theorized Revenant’s backstory, and the fact that early leaks dubbed him a ‘Simulacrum,’ a race of robot from Respawn’s Titanfall series. Read more: Apex dev drops massive hints about easter egg in Firing Range Simulacrums are robotic, but, unlike Pathfinder, they have the mind or “consciousness” of a human, making them similar to super soldiers. While it looks like Revenant may be very nearly ready to drop into the game, and an image tweeted out by a Respawn developer seems to add to that idea, there’s a good chance the ghoul-robot is behind ‘Rosie’ in the queue order for release. Whatever the case, we likely won’t see a new legend until Season 4, in late 2019 or early 2020, if Respawn sticks to their schedule of one new legend a season.

New Apex Legends render reveals what unreleased L-STAR weapon will sound like – Dexerto
New Apex Legends render reveals what unreleased L-STAR weapon will sound like A new Apex Legends render shows what the unreleased L-STAR weapon will sound like in-game, while also confirming its appearance from previous leaks. Respawn Entertainment, the developers of Apex Legends, have gone a long time without any meaningful content coming to the game but all of that will be changing once Season 2 arrives. Season 2 will be officially unveiled during EA’s press conference, which is when players can find out what they can expect for the future of the hit battle royale game. A new weapon is said to be coming with Season 2 and many signs are pointing to that being the L-STAR. This is further backed up by this rendering of the game that shows off not only its model but the sounds it will make. The POV rendering of it shows what it will look like in the hands of Octane, Apex’s newest Legend. We get a look at the reload animation but unfortunately, do not get to see what it looks like when shot. If this render is anything to go off, it looks like the gun is pretty close to being ready for in-game action. What can we expect with Season 2? Many players are looking forward to the release of Season 2, which will come with a new Battle Pass, Legend and presumably the L-Star gun. That’s not the only thing fans have to look forward to as Respawn teased new locations potentially coming to the map. Fans were very vocal at what they called the underwhelming Season 1 Battle Pass and Respawn promised to fix that as well. Players will have to tune in to EA’s presentation during E3 2019 to find out if Apex Legends is worth sticking with for the long haul.

New Apex Legends players frustrated with “predatory” FF7 Rebirth event – Dexerto
New Apex Legends players frustrated with “predatory” FF7 Rebirth event Respawn EntertainmentNew Apex Legends players arriving from the recent Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth crossover are claiming they’re frustrated with the “predatory” event. Over the last few years, the Apex Legends community has pleaded with the devs for more events and limited-time game modes. In recent months, we’ve seen the Respawn devs act on that feedback, notably teaming up with music artist Post Malone for a special one-off event in late 2023, bringing a new LTM and unique skins. More recently, an unexpected announcement at The Game Awards saw Apex Legends crossover with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for an event. However, players new to the game are frustrated, claiming the event is “predatory” with its “outrageous” prices. New Apex player calls out devs over “predatory” event In a Reddit post on January 27, an Apex Legends player who had only just begun playing the battle royale recently with the Final Fantasy 7 event hit out with their concerns. “Now with the event over soon I have no more chances to unlock packs and I didn’t get any character skins or the heirloom, it’s also impossible to unlock the victory pose and deathbox as well,” the player explained. “Is this how all Apex events are?” They added: “The prices seem outrageous and this whole event seems very predatory. I thought I would be able to grind the Gil and get packs but that was clearly never an option.” In the replies, it’s clear many feel the same way, with multiple claiming EA “just wants to make money” from Apex players. However, on the other hand, as veteran players explained, this event far better than usual with free rewards. “This event is actually far more generous than a normal event in terms of free stuff,” said one. They added: “3 event packs, 3 thematic packs, 6 normal packs, and 3 epic packs is more free stuff than any other event ever.” With the devs looking to keep the game fresh with more events, we could see some changes in the future.

New Apex Legends Pathfinder Twitch Prime skin leaked – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Pathfinder Twitch Prime skin leaked Respawn Entertainment / TwitchThe next Twitch Prime-exclusive Apex Legends skin has been leaked ahead of its release, bringing a fresh look to everyone’s favorite wholesome robot, Pathfinder. Every month, Twitch Prime users get a brand new, exclusive skin to decorate the Legends of the Apex Games, such as Wraith’s ‘Forgotten in the Void’ skin that was made available in April 2020. As the most popular character in the game, many fans were delighted to get their hands on a new Wraith skin, but the only other character that comes anywhere close to her popularity is Pathfinder, and now fans of his are being rewarded for their loyalty. After it was first leaked late on June 23 that the next Twitch Prime skin will be for Pathfinder and that players will also get a free charm with it, we’ve now got our first look at what the skin will look like. Well-known Apex Legends leaker and dataminer Biast12, who also revealed on June 23 that a paintball LTM appears to be coming to the game, has posted the first image of Pathfinder’s Twitch Prime skin. It’s unclear what the skin is named yet, or whether it’s based off of something else, yet it brings a fun, new, bright red and blue aesthetic to the Forward Scout. Though there isn’t yet a date set in stone for when this skin will become available, it will be added to Twitch Prime at some point in July, usually around the middle of the month based on previous drops. the twitch prime skin i already have posted about pic.twitter.com/dgZkbh5tcs — Biast12 (@Biast12) June 23, 2020 If you’re not interested in new Pathfinder skins, however, you can always find out how to claim Gibraltar’s ‘Tribal Instinct’ skin before it’s too late or check out everything new in Season 5’s Lost Treasures update.

New Apex Legends Octane Edition: skins, items, price, how to get – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Octane Edition: skins, items, price, how to get Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have released Apex Legends Octane Edition, the third special edition version of their popular battle royale, which includes some awesome-looking cosmetic items and rewards. One of the most important aspects of Apex Legends is that it has always been free to play. However, for the old school collectors out there who prefer hard copies of games, Respawn released a Bloodhound and Lifeline version. On February 18, they launched Octane Edition, centered around the Legend that was first introduced back in Season 1. Update: There is no hard copy of the Octane Edition, but it will be available at retailers, as a digital download. “You’re either predator or prey,” the description reads. “Death comes at you fast in the Arena. Since your teeth into the Octane Edition, packed full of juicy collectibles to keep you looking energized and more venomous than your competition.” What’s in the Apex Legends Octane Edition? This version of the game features five items in total, including four cosmetics and 1,000 Apex Coins. Legendary Arachnoid Rush Octane skin – Legendary Arachnoid Charge Rifle skin – Exclusive Violet Widow Gun Charm – Exclusive Venomous Badge – 1,000 Apex Coins – In the Arena, you’re either predator or prey. 🕷 Sink your teeth into the Octane Edition, which includes the deadly Arachnoid Rush Octane skin, Arachnoid Charge Rifle skin, 1,000 Apex Coins, and more. 🕸: https://t.co/Rm3IY9lJ1Z pic.twitter.com/Aw3YNTsz8m — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 18, 2020 How much is the Apex Legends Octane Edition? This bundled version of the game is available for $19.99 on the Microsoft Store (Xbox One), PlayStation Store (PS4), and Origin store (PC). What other Apex Legends special editions are there? This is the third special version of Apex Legends, following the Bloodhound and Lifeline Editions that were released back in September. Like the Octane version, both of those versions also included five items in total – four cosmetics and 1,000 Apex Coins – each costing the same price of $19.99. Needless to say, because the cosmetic items in these bundles sit behind a paywall, there’s probably not going to be too many players who can show them off in-game. For those are into having exclusive skins and camos, it’s probably worth dropping 20 bucks on one or more of these bundles, especially since you get a nice amount of Apex Coins to spend on other stuff.

New Apex Legends Mobile skin draws big comparison to Overwatch character – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Mobile skin draws big comparison to Overwatch character Apex Legends MobileThere have always been theories about Loba’s design from Apex Legends being inspired by a similar Overwatch character but the Translocating Thief’s new skin has added fuel to the fire. Only days after Call of Duty came under fire for potentially ripping off a former dev’s new game with a brand-new skin, the Apex Legends Mobile team is now also being looked at under the same microscope. Loba’s design, a Brazilian thief who is good with technology, has always drawn comparisons to an Overwatch character with a similar background, the new skin seems to directly recognize that influence. Apex Legends Mobile skin criticized for resembling Sombra from Overwatch The skin in question is an Apex Mobile look that gives Loba a cyberpunk-style makeover made of genre-appropriate purples and pinks, as well as completely overhauling her haircut to complete the look. Even for casual Overwatch fans, the resemblance to Sombra will be plainly obvious. Both have the same haircut, eye make up, and power pose, making their base appearances almost identical. The addition of a jacket and pants that start in lighter shades and fade into a darker color only seal the deal. Now, this aesthetic is currently fairly common, but given the other background connections between the two, it’s certainly enough to raise some eyebrows. One fan, Tyler5637052, suggested on Twitter that the skin was just a fun wink from the Apex devs to acknowledge the similarity between the two. “It’s supposed to be obvious,”. Of course, not everyone is ready to agree on that. There are still some fans asking the team opts for something “original for once”, whenever the next batch of new skins hits either version of the popular battle royale.

New Apex Legends map ‘World’s Edge’ revealed ahead of Season 3 – Dexerto
New Apex Legends map ‘World’s Edge’ revealed ahead of Season 3 Respawn EntertainmentDevelopers Respawn Entertainment have revealed a brand new map for Apex Legends called World’s Edge ahead of the launch of Season 3: Meltdown. With Season 3 set to launch on October 1 in Apex Legends, Respawn gave their player-base something else to also be very excited about – a brand new map. World’s Edge is located on a different planet called Talos, where, according to the official description, is where “molten heat and chemical ice collide.” The map was introduced in the latest Season 3 launch trailer, which features a cast of Legends, including Crypto – the newest character that will make his debut in Meltdown. Read More: How to better use Knockdown Shields – In the trailer, included below, the Legends are shown being “whisked from” the familiar terrain of King’s Canyon on a Dropship, and taken to an icy location, where a battle between them ensues. At first glance, that description actually makes perfect sense, as the map is shown to have both a snowy terrain full of ice-capped hills and mountains, and what appears to be an active volcano that is likely to play some role in how the map works. Located in the middle is some sort of facility or plant that looks to have once been used to refine or produce a chemical, but an apparent explosion that is now frozen in place has the whole thing looking quite incredible. In addition to introducing the new map, this launch trailer also displays several other things that will be novelties in the game once Season 3 kicks off. For one, Crypto can be seen in a way that he’s never been shown before, including a glimpse at what could be some of his Abilities. Read More: Apex Legends leak reveals crossplay plans – Also, the brand new Charge Rifle weapon is also given a glimpse of, and it certainly fits its description of being an “obliterating directed-energy weapon.” Of course, while the prospect of a new map in Apex Legends is certainly a hypnotizing one, the fact that Respawn are releasing one shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, as the developers had been strongly hinting at it for quite a while now. A plethora of clues had been dropped in the days leading up to this announcement, including an early glimpse of the snowy terrain, and even revealing when they would make the news public ahead of time. Players will be able to enjoy World’s Edge, and everything else Season 3: Meltdown has to offer, come October 1. For full details on the new season, make sure to visit our Meltdown info hub.

Possible new Apex Legends map reveal date hinted at in Crypto teaser – Dexerto
Possible new Apex Legends map reveal date hinted at in Crypto teaser Epic GamesUpcoming Apex Legends combatant Crypto has successfully “hacked” his way into the system, as Respawn Entertainment released a new teaser for Season 3. The Apex community are undoubtedly getting hyped for what Season 3 of the battle royale will bring, and the devs have been delivering more clues for players to decipher in the lead up to the game’s next chapter. There’s already been a huge lore reveal that could suggest a new map will be heading to the game, but it seems like after an unsuccessful login attempt, Cryptop (and the devs) are ready to reveal even bigger news soon. In a September 25 post, the Apex Twitter released a new teaser that says “Login attempt 00927_10” was a success. Right off the bat, it looks like Respawn have something special planned for September 27th at 10 am, if the text for the tweet serve as clues. Going into the actual tweet’s gif, players are met with lines of code from the new Legend as he logs out and leaves his digital mark on the terminal he just hacked. The new teaser could be hinting at a brand new trailer for Season 3, as players already know Season 2 Battle Charge will end on September 30. There will be no downtime in between season transitions as Season 3 will come on October 1. Respawn Entertainment has made it a habit to release trailers before their seasons’ start to give players a good look at new features and Battle Pass loot coming to the game. [LOGIN ATTEMPT 00927_10: SUCCESS] [DECRYPTING FILES: LOADING…1%] pic.twitter.com/Rv7jOfWQ7q— A̸̦͗p̴̗̾e̴̘̿x̵̩͗ ̵̱̈́L̶̠̾e̵̋ͅg̷̣͛ȩ̴̽n̵͈̆d̷̯̊ṡ̷̩ (@PlayApex) September 25, 2019 Why do fans think there’s a new Apex Legends map? Previously, the company had already given players a look into what might be coming to Apex Legends Season 3. Along with reigning in a new Legend, there have been mounting clues of a new map that will take players away from Kings Canyon. While evidence is still hazy, Crypto is looking for a way off of Solace, the planet Kings Canyon is located on. With previous leaks suggesting the upcoming Legend will “find the evidence (he needs) somewhere in New Dawn,” it could be time to depart Apex Legends’ first map. There’s been another entry of the new planet in the Titalfall universe. A canceled TitanFall Online game had a multiplayer map set on “Dawn.” Since popular character Bloodhound was revived from a Titanfall concept, some fans think the same could happen for a new Apex Legends map. Even before the appearance of the new teaser, players have been waiting for Crypto’s “running decryption” featured on Apex’s Twitter account to be completed. After the teaser was posted, the decryption is now at 65% complete with the account’s banner indicating the BNR-OS Key decrypt is at 75%. Whatever the Respawn devs are planning, it looks like players will soon have new trailers and content previews to gaze over as Apex Legends Season 3 quickly approaches.

Shroud explains why new Apex Legends map has him worried for battle royale – Dexerto
Shroud explains why new Apex Legends map has him worried for battle royale Twitch: Shroud / Respawn EntertainmentMichael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has been sinking his teeth into the new Apex Legends map, Storm Point, and has already found a major problem — one the star Twitch streamer thinks could hurt the long-term future of the battle royale. Last week, Respawn added a fourth Apex Legends map — “Storm Point” — to their flagship battle royale, and the tropical paradise has already been a popular release. Players and streamers alike have given it a big tick, especially its new NPC enemies scattered around the battleground and, as NICKERMCS said on November 2, the map’s move to stop so many ‘third parties.’ There are some, however, that aren’t as convinced Storm Point is a step in the right direction. According to Shroud, the new map raises some big concerns. In particular, Storm Point’s massive size increase over World’s Edge and Olympus has the Twitch star worried, as does how Respawn designed the map elements. Shroud has been playing Apex Legends frequently since the Season 11 update, getting to know the CAR SMG (spoilers, he’s not a fan) and the Storm Point map. Like his take on the season’s submachine gun, Twitch’s human aimbot is less than impressed with Respawn’s latest map release. That’s not to say it’s a personal dislike. Instead, Shroud said during a Nov. 8 stream, he’s worried about all the decisions that went into building Apex’s tropical battlefield. His first concern is the map fails its main objective. “This map was made to have less third parties?” Shroud said. “I mean it’s a pretty big map, but I think it depends where you land. Like, you still get constantly third partied if you jump [in certain spots on the map], every time.” The other problem, he said, is if you avoid third party spots you will never see anyone until late: “It’s f**king big. You go to the end, you’ll see nobody.” Then there’s Shroud’s second worry. While playing Storm Point, he raised concerns about the way Respawn actually built smaller POIs on the Apex Legends map. As he played through the Gaea map, he found several places where he simply couldn’t access. Shroud claims that is a “really bad” way to design the game. If Respawn continues on this path, he said, it could change the game entirely. “There just aren’t that many movement spots,” Shroud said. “I feel like it’s [Apex] becoming character-advantage, right? Like that Pathfinder got up that building because he used his “Q”. I have no way to get up. There’s no way to get up, so it’s character-diff, so you’re just running around looking. “There’s lots of ways legends can get to certain spots,” he continued, “but you have to choose them, and [if they don’t] players will struggle with these layouts.” Shroud may sound a little down on the new map, but the human aimbot’s concerns over Apex Legends come from a place of love — star Twitch streamer has been vocal about Respawn’s title being his “favorite battle royale.” Read More: EA wants more Apex Legends content updates – One star that doesn’t agree with Shroud is NICKMERCS; the Twitch star dubbed Storm Point “straight fire,” mainly due to the tropic island’s massive size.

New Apex Legends lore reveals Octane and Lifeline’s complicated relationship – Dexerto
New Apex Legends lore reveals Octane and Lifeline’s complicated relationship Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment, developers of popular battle royale title Apex Legends, have released a brand new video that expands on the story of character Octane, revealing how he tricked another of the game’s Legends into giving him his robotic legs. Octane was originally introduced to Apex Legends back at the start of the game’s first season, an adrenaline junkie who uses his mechanical limbs to speed around Kings Canyon in search of death-defying adventure, and victories in the Apex Games. It’s long been known that Octavio Silva lost his legs during a failed Gauntlet run, but now Respawn have revealed how he managed to get his hands on his bionic appendages – by tricking Ajay ‘Lifeline’ Chey. In a video released by the developers, Octane and Lifeline can be seen discussing his decision to ditch the hospital after receiving his new legs, instead of hanging around to have tests performed to make sure they were functional. Lifeline had been convinced to help Silvia after she saw a letter than confirmed he had a job offer from his parents, only to find out that it had been faked so he could ensure he would get his bionic body parts, and once he got hold of them, cleared out before anyone could find out. The conversation ends with Octane joking about the situation despite its seriousness, and then going in-depth about his Jumppads and how he plans to fund their creation, prompting Lifeline to block him entirely in frustration. You can read the full chatlogs between the two characters in the YouTube video below. With Octane obsessed with finding his next adrenaline rush, it comes as little surprise that he would race off the moment he got his hands on his new legs, however many were unaware of Lifeline’s role in his recovery and ultimately his entry into the Apex Games. This isn’t the first time that Respawn have released information about their characters and the lore behind them, with a letter sent by Lifeline’s biggest fan earlier in the year describing how she saved a mercenary, convincing him to scrap his life as a killer and instead persue the arts. It seems Respawn are intent on giving fans a look at the backstories of every character, so it shouldn’t be long until characters like Wraith and Bloodhound get their own lore expanded too.

New Apex Legends leaks suggest Easter event coming soon in Season 4 – Dexerto
New Apex Legends leaks suggest Easter event coming soon in Season 4 Respawn Entertainment / StockpixRespawn could be bringing the very first Easter-themed event to Apex Legends next month, if new leaks regarding Pathfinder’s heirloom animations which mention the chocolate-filled holiday are to be believed. Holiday-themed events in Apex Legends are nothing new — the battle royale has twice turned pink for Valentine’s Day, and celebrated Halloween with a spooky return to a darkened King’s Canyon during the Fight or Fright event. More recently, World’s Edge was treated to a “Holo-Day Bash,” hosted by wisecracking legend Mirage to celebrate Christmas. Now it looks like Easter could be next on the menu, after new code mentioned the holiday by name. Does Pathfinder’s Heirloom update confirm an Easter event? The leaked code was first discovered and publicized by popular data miner ILootGames. The code strings were related to Pathfinder’s Heirloom boxing gloves. The files suggest the robot scout could be getting new animations. While that is cool news for Pathfinder mains — everyone loves new animations — the real gem of info was the event details. In the strings, “Easter” was mentioned multiple times in relation to the robot’s new melee moves. “We should be getting some Easter content,” ILootGames said alongside the leaked code, but he added he wasn’t sure on the exact details. “It looks like it’ll include some change or new animations for Pathfinders heirloom.” BTW.. we should be getting some Easter content.. what exactly it’ll be .. I dont know but looks like it’ll include some change or new animation for pathfinders heirloom. Wouldn’t that be cool to get new animations with themed skins? pic.twitter.com/JxTVI8CgSa — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) March 22, 2020 When could we see the Easter event land in Apex? If an Easter event is on the way, there’s little question when it would happen. This year’s big day lands on Sunday, April 12. That means the event may start ahead of that weekend, and run into the middle of the next week. Fight or Fright and Holo-Day Bash were both Collection Events, which the Easter celebration may also be. The Halloween-themed event lasted three weeks from October 15 to November 5. The Christmas event ran for 26 days. Apex’s most recent Collection Event was the System Override update. It finished on March 17, after two weeks live. The Deja Loot-focused update also broke the mold of consecutive holiday-themed events, though the next may not. Could the Easter event tie into Bloodhound’s Town Takeover? These new Easter leaks, and the fact the chocolatey celebration is fast approaching, raises another question. Could the rumored Bloodhound Town Takeover somehow tie into the new event found in Pathfinder’s heirloom code? According to files loaded into the Apex Legends code in the latest update, first revealed by data miner Shrugtal, and confirmed by Dexerto, the takeover’s teasers will begin in-game at the end of the month on Tuesday, March 31. Most game previews come a week before the actual takeovers, meaning we’d be looking at April 7 this time — the perfect time for an Easter event to start. Read More: Ultimate weapon tier list for Apex Season 4 – While Bloodhound doesn’t have any ties to chocolate or Easter, apart from hunting things, neither did Mirage when he landed his big gig with the Holo-Day Christmas celebrations. Nor does Pathfinder, with whom the code was found. For now, however, Apex fans will just have to remain patient. Respawn has never responded to datamined leaks before, meaning we may have to wait patiently until March 31 to see if all the leaks from the code come true. The Easter-cross-Pathfinder leaks aren’t the only things code-dippers have found in the files recently either. Last week, seven new gun reskins were discovered. The Mastiff, R-301, G7 Scout, and more are all set for the variant skins.

New Apex Legends leak reveals Nova as possible Season 6 character – Dexerto
New Apex Legends leak reveals Nova as possible Season 6 character Twitter: Shrugtal/Respawn[jwplayer UQowmNq2]A fresh Apex Legends leak has revealed some details about Nova – who could possibly be another female character in the battle royale when season six launches. As each new Apex Legends season unfolds, players are always looking to the future as data miners dig into the new files added by Respawn Entertainment. In the past, they’ve been able to find a whole host of details about the upcoming legends. Going all the way back to season one, a full list of legends that were in development was leaked and while they all haven’t been released, we’ve at least seen a few of them added. With new files being added to Apex with the start of the Lost Treasures Collection Event, leakers have been able to get their hands on a few new details. The new supposed new legend that they’ve uncovered is called Nova. Reliable leaker Shrugtal posted a photo of what looks to be Nova’s legend icon as well as a few other details. “She’s literally called pilot_medium_nova, like all the other legends e.g. pilot_medium_loba,” the leaker added, referencing further details that they’d found, including placeholder animations from Bangalore. The female character has also seemingly taken the place of the previously leaked Valk, with Shrugtal noting that there are no mentions of that name anymore in the files like there had been previously. Pretty sure that’s Nova’s legend icon. pic.twitter.com/92AoxOI3j6 — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 23, 2020 She’s literally called pilot_medium_nova, like all the other legends e.g. pilot_medium_loba. Some placeholder bangalore animations in her files. pic.twitter.com/4TwhKEkPLg — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 23, 2020 Though the references to a new legend may spark excitement about her possibly being added in season six, new details about Rampart were also uncovered – and it seems as if he might be a little further down the line in development, especially as there are abilities for him in the files. Of course, the Apex devs haven’t been averse to a little bit of trickery either. Who can ever forget all the teasers for Forge prior to season four, only for him to be killed and replaced by Revenant? We’ll just have to wait and see as to what the devs have up their sleeve.
