New Apex Legends leak hints at highly requested feature coming soon According to a new leak, a replay mode may finally be arriving in Apex Legends, which is sure to put a smile on the face of many players. Apex Legends has done a great job of setting itself apart from its battle royale competitors with its unique characters that each have clear and defined roles. While it’s good to stand apart from the competition, it’s still important to make sure you keep with the others when it comes to the included features. Fortnite, for example, has a replay mode that allows players to look back at past games to study their strengths and weaknesses, and it has become vital for those wanting to improve as a player. Apex Legends pros have spoken out about how the game should have a replay mode in the past, and now it’s looking like that could be closer to becoming a reality. Judging by this leak by Reddit user nev3rfail, the developers are working behind the scenes on implementing a replay function. The image they posted shows a series of camera angles, possibly an indication that players will be able to switch between numerous spots for the camera. For what it’s worth, nothing about a replay mode has been mentioned in the upcoming Apex Legends patch, so, for the time being, this remains a leak and nothing more. The Apex Legends Global Series kicks off on January 25, so it’s possible they could be looking into additional viewing angles for everyone watching at home. Obviously, you don’t want to be stuck with just one point of view for a tournament of that size, so the timing of this leak could actually line up with that. Nothing official has been announced by Respawn on that end, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they have planned. If this is actually coming out in time for their circuit, we’ll be finding out about it a lot sooner, than later.

New Apex Legends heat shield glitch lets players attach them to their head – Dexerto
New Apex Legends heat shield glitch lets players attach them to their head Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends glitch surrounding the new Legend Vantage has popped up, which appears to allow heat shields to follow players around on their heads. Apex Legends Season 14 is finally here players are checking out all the new content like the updated King’s Canyon map and the new Legend, Vantage. Unfortunately, with lots of new content comes unforeseen issues that slip through the cracks during development and testing. One of those issues is a new glitch that allows players to move heat shields around wherever they go, instead of staying static on the ground. New Apex Legends heat shield glitch discovered The glitch gained traction from a post made by JomzYT on the Apex Legends subreddit. JomzYT’s post titled “Apparently you can now put heatshields on your head,” shows off a 30-second long clip of a Vantage player throwing down a heat shield on King’s Canyon. After a few seconds, the heat shield begins floating in the air and follows the player around as they loot nearby death boxes. It’s not exactly known what causes this floating heat shield glitch at the moment, but players have already started speculating. Some believe the glitch occurs because of Vantage herself. More specifically, because of her bat companion Echo. User Stidge-on put forth that they’ve experienced similar issues with Vantage. “I accidentally pinged myself and my own Echo earlier today. Seems like Echo stays physical even when holstered…” However, it is impossible for players to actually place a heat shield on Echo after sending them out according to Apex Legends content creator bobz. At the moment, the cause of this strange heat shield glitch is unknown, be it because of Vantage herself or Echo’s hitbox. As is always the case with glitch experimentation, players looking to recreate the glitch should do so at their own risk, should Respawn find out and enforce any repercussions.

New Apex Legends Hammond easter egg discovered in System Override teaser – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Hammond easter egg discovered in System Override teaser RespawnApex Legends players have seemingly uncovered another in-game easter egg after the confirmation of the System Override event, and it appears to be issuing a warning about Hammond Robotics. For some time now, Apex Legends fans have been coming across easter eggs in the Respawn Entertainment. These have been little ones – like Mirage’s messages to his mother and launching third-person view – as well as more interesting secrets like the Giant Nessy and the firing range dummies. Some of these secrets have taken players quite some time to fully figure out and see the end result but it appears as if the developers have dropped another easter egg, and it’s a bit more obvious than normal. The new easter egg was pointed out by Apex Legends lore master FrozenFroh, who posted a screenshot of the new message about the recently revealed System Override event. While everything looks all fine and dandy, there is a hand full of letters that don’t exactly appear as clear as the rest. When noted down in the order that they appear, these letters spell out the message “Don’t believe Hammond,” in reference to the Hammond Robotics company that has become a part of the Apex universe. Now, as there isn’t much to go on outside of the message, players have been speculating as to what it could mean. “Really hope this leads to the PvE event,” commented one Redditor – making the link between Titanfall and Apex Legends. Another, alfons100, added: My bet, it is gonna be something with a town takeover where the Harvester messes up the map further.” With Hammond Robotics seemingly playing the villain for many players in season four – with the map changes, death of Forge, and the arrival of Revenant – it’s a pretty perfect teaser from Respawn. What it’ll lead to, however, still remains to be seen but it is sure to have speculation running rampant for a while yet.

New Apex Legends hack makes grenades extremely overpowered – Dexerto
New Apex Legends hack makes grenades extremely overpowered Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends hack makes grenades unbelievably overpowered, giving cheaters the ability to instantly detonate the throwables. Cheating has been a huge problem in Apex Legends for a long time, especially in the upper echelons of Ranked where players are desperate to gain RP and climb up the tiers. While Respawn has taken steps to combat DDoS attacks in recent patches, the community is still waiting for an upgrade to the anti-cheat. The majority of third-party software gives hackers access to an aimbot, which makes their bullets lock onto targets from any range. However, there are other hacks available that affect the game in other ways, including a new one that makes grenades significantly more powerful. OP Apex Legends hack instantly detonates grenades Posting a thread to the Apex Legends subreddit on February 12, user GP2_engine_GP2 asked the community how they could throw grenades like the enemy in the clip they’d included. However, after seeing the footage, players quickly realized that the player from the spectate screen was cheating and using third-party software to enhance their grenades. Instead of having to wait a set amount of time for the throwables to detonate, the third-party software allows the hacker to instantly make their grenade explode. This makes it extremely easy to land damage on opponents and wipe out entire teams who are grouped together. While this isn’t the typical aimbot-style hack that is used frequently by cheaters, it’s still incredibly strong. The player has likely chosen this feature in the hopes of going under the radar, as it’s a lot less obvious than bullets that auto-lock onto enemies. Either way, this just shows that new cheats are being developed all the time and Respawn has its work cut out creating a system that can detect all these different hacks.

New Apex Legends Graffiti hop-up could be first Rampart teaser – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Graffiti hop-up could be first Rampart teaser Respawn/EA[jwplayer dGieJhaz] A brand-new ‘Graffiti’ hop-up has been uncovered by Apex Legends players, though, nobody is quite certain if it’s whether tied to a new limited-time mode or even a teaser for the next legend – seemingly, Rampart. Anyone who has played a game or two of Apex Legends has come across a hop-up. These weapon attachments come in purple and gold forms and can give your weapon of choice a serious kick. Hop-ups like the Precision Choke, Hammerpoint Rounds, or Skull Piercing rounds are highly-sought in games, though, players have also noticed that a ‘Graffiti’ hop-up appears to have made its way through too. The new hop-up has caused some confusion, though, as while it appears to be for the Spitfire, it could be teasing something much bigger. It was pointed out by Apex data miner Shrugtal, who noted that the mod gives +15% ammo size, speeds up reload time, and change fire mode can be switched to fire different paintball colors. Read More: Respawn reveal Apex Legends bug fixes coming in future update Though, while some pointed out that it could quite simply be for a paintball related limited-time mode, the leaker added that it would seemingly be for Rampart teaser given some previous leaks and the R logo on the hop-up. “One possible Rampart passive was to give their LMGs increased magazine capacity and faster reload speeds,” he tweeted. “This hop-up does that, and goes on a Spitfire… There’s also the R…” I just made this realization. One possible Rampart passive was to give their LMGs increased magazine capacity and faster reload speeds. This hopup does that, and goes on a Spitfire… There’s also the R…https://t.co/GVCRlz2tbU — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 29, 2020 I kinda feel like this isn’t going to be a Paintball LTM. Just a hopup at that will appear one day as a teaser for Rampart’s abilities and theme. https://t.co/uS3APe5ERS — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 29, 2020 Of course, the connection to Rampart can easily be made, but there is speculation over whether or not he will be the new legend added at the start of season six. Other leaks noted that the female legend once known as Valk had recently been renamed to Nova, and even had a legend icon appear in the game’s files. We’ll just have to wait and see as to whether or not Respawn is teasing Rampart with this hop-up, or if it’s just a regular hop-up that everyone can use. Only time will tell in that case.

New Apex Legends Global Series Finals dates announced – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Global Series Finals dates announced Respawn EntertainmentElectronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced that the Finals of the Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournaments (OT) number five and six will be moving up a day earlier. The Global Series is Apex Legends’ set of online tournaments taking place throughout 2020, with some of the top teams in Apex esports battling it out. OT #4 is still scheduled to start on Saturday, April 18, and end on Monday, April 20, but after that, we won’t have to wait as long for tournaments #5 and #6. Both OTs #5 and #6 will be moved up and start a day earlier than originally planned. This means the tournaments will now be held May 2-3 and May 30-31, respectively. Respawn said in a press release they made these changes “in order to better fit competitors’ schedules and those able to watch online.” “We’re always seeking to better serve our players and fans, and that has never been more true than it is today,” John Nelson, Competitive Gaming Division Commissioner on the game said. “We wanted to give our community the opportunity to continue to play more Apex Legends and get competitions back up and running as soon as possible while ensuring the safety of all players, viewers, and staff.” Teams are currently trying to fight their way up the Global Series leaderboard, which will conclude with the Grand Finals, after Online Tournament #10 has been played, which is still a ways down the road, considering #4 kicks off this weekend. All of the Apex Legends OTs can be watched on the game’s official Twitch and YouTube pages, the latter of which is included below: There are over 600 Apex teams competing in the online tournaments, but so far the favorites to emerge are TSM, Complexity, Team Liquid, Rogue, Luminosity Gaming, Gambit Esports, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, North, and more. With everything going on in the world at least we still have esports to keep us entertained, and the folks at EA and Respawn seemed determined to keep the Apex esports content coming.

New Apex Legends glitch lets players stay out-of-bounds for a long time – Dexerto
New Apex Legends glitch lets players stay out-of-bounds for a long time Despite its massive success, Apex Legends remains full of glitches and exploits that players can abuse, one of which involves staying out-of-bounds on the map. Aside from the outer edges of the map where players can fall to their death, there are some inland areas that are also considered out-of-bounds, such as atop certain canyons, land bridges, and other high areas. Once players enter these out-of-bounds areas, a warning message appears on the screen along with a timer that indicates how long they have to get back into the regulation areas. However, it appears that there is a glitch in the game that’s allowing players to stay out-of-bounds for much longer than the timer suggests, and it’s definitely something that players are exploiting. Read More: Voice of Bloodhound gives behind the scenes look into fan-favorite Apex Legends character – Here is a demonstration of this glitch as shown by NRG Esports’ Apex Legends pro player ‘dizzy,’ who came across it while live-streaming. Executing this exploit is quite simple; as the video shows, all players have to do is quickly bunny hop in place while perched in an out-of-bounds area, and the warning timer will keep getting reset after every jump. Dizzy points out that this exploit is easier to do if the jump action is tied to the scroll wheel, which makes it easier to successfully time bunny hops. This exploit can certainly get filed under the “game-breaking” category as it offers players the huge advantage of being able to hide and attack from out-of-bounds areas. It joins other critical exploits such as the ability to see through smoke and firing a weapon when knocked down. Until it gets patched, players are pretty much free to go out-of-bounds as much as they’d like, although taking advantage of glitches like this could eventually results in an account ban.

New Apex Legends glitch makes players completely invisible – Dexerto
New Apex Legends glitch makes players completely invisible A new Apex Legends glitch has appeared that makes enemies completely invisible in-game, putting some players in sticky situations where they don’t know where they are getting shot from. Invisibility in games like Apex is usually the work of an ability or hacks. If it’s the latter, it makes for an infuriating experience for players, who have no idea where they are getting shot from, and dying without a chance to fight back. However, there’s now a new glitch that can make any player invisible at any time, leaving players scratching their heads when it happens to them. Reddit user ‘Styxvfx’ shared his experience with the glitch, getting ambushed by an invisible player while looting in the early game. Both of their teammates got downed by a barrage of bullets with no traceable origin, making it almost impossible to figure out where he was getting shot from. Styxvfx was the next target, with the invisible player creeping up on the Wraith, who was confused as to what was happening right before his eyes. He did manage to fight back, tracing the bullet trails to try and take a duel with the enemy. He even came out on top, thanks to a nice spray with the R-99 and a couple of shots from the Wingman, before moving over to revive his team. Killing an invisible player is an achievement in itself, however how the glitch happened in the first place remains a mystery. It could have possibly been a glitch with Mirage’s Vanishing Act, or even a Wraith coming out of Into the Void. If it wasn’t ability-based, it could be as simple as the character model not loading in. Apex Legends bugs have been popping up left, right, and center with some of the recent changes. Styxvfx himself experienced a bizarre hit registration glitch, where his bullets did no damage despite clearly hitting the enemy. A Pathfinder player also found himself trapped inside a wall after taking a Wraith portal, ultimately leading to his demise. With the next update planned for December 3, hopefully these major game-breaking bugs get patched out, so players won’t have to worry about invisible foes stepping on their toes every game.

New Apex Legends glitch lets Gibraltar players easily jump high and “like a frog” – Dexerto
New Apex Legends glitch lets Gibraltar players easily jump high and “like a frog” GinormaSourcePlayers who prefer to use the Gibraltar in Apex Legends are in luck, as a new glitch lets the massive Legend jump around as if he were a frog. Glitches, exploits, and bugs have been commonly found in Apex Legends since its release, and many can offer considerable advantage to those who choose to use them. This new jump glitch, about which YouTuber ‘DAIQRY’ has made a demonstration video about below, allows players to abuse a movement mechanic that drastically increases how high the Gibraltar can jump. One important thing to know before trying to take advantage of this glitch is that having a teammate playing as Octane is absolutely required. The Octane’s Launch Pad Ultimate Ability is necessary for the whole process to work, so make sure to have one of your teammates pick that Legend before entering a match. How to do the Gibraltar Jump Glitch The process is relatively easy to complete – the Gibraltar must first position himself right under the Octane, which can be done by simply having the Octane stand on a platform that’s one level higher than the Gibraltar. At this point, the Gibraltar must aim down the sights of his weapon to activate the Gun Shield Passive Ability, which is a transparent energy shield that blocks incoming fire. He must then look up at the Octane, whose job is to place Launch Pad right onto the Gun Shield. The Gibraltar will not be able to see the Launch Pad on his shield, so once the Octane confirms that the pad has been successfully placed, the “jumping around like a frog” can begin. For this, the Gibraltar must simply look down while moving forward and press the ‘CTRL’ button twice (NOT THE JUMP BUTTON!) any time he wants to jump. This will allow the Legend to jump much higher than normal Why does this only work for Gibraltar? Unfortunately, this method is restricted to only the Gibraltar because his Gun Shield is needed for the process to work, just like how the Octane’s Launch Pad is also necessary. However, another recently discovered glitch in the game is allowing all players to launch themselves straight into the sky and cover large distances aerially, so that is an option for other players. Read More: Apex Legends L-Star weapon animations leaked – It’s important to remember, however, that others could report you for exploiting these glitches in-game, so a good idea is to just play the game how it’s meant to be played.

New Apex Legends glitch lets players fly across the entire map – Dexerto
New Apex Legends glitch lets players fly across the entire map It would appear that Apex Legends is not experiencing a shortage of game-breaking glitches as a new bug found in the game is allowing players to fly across the map. Despite its explosive success, Apex Legends continues to be littered with glitches and bugs, as well as players who exploit them to their advantage. While many of these bugs are mild, a few are certainly game-breaking, to the point that they threaten the integrity of the game, such as this recently discovered flying glitch. Twitch streamer demonstrates flying glitch On April 12, Twitch streamer ‘higrad3snipez’ posted a clip in which he and his teammates were able to exploit a mechanic in the game to the point where they were able to fly across the map. In the clip, the streamer can be seen punching a supply crate several times, before he and his teammates simply take off like rockets from a standstill position and get high enough into the air where nearly the entire map became visible. How does this glitch work? While the exact mechanics behind the glitch remain unknown, one user on Reddit noted that it resembled other “momentum storing glitches,” such as the one players use to run at a very high speed. The user explained that the action of punching the supply cart in a way that didn’t allow the player’s body to recoil as it normally would resulted in momentum being stored, so that the next time the player jumps, the game releases all of that built up momentum and shoots the player straight into the sky. Game-breaking glitches in Apex Legends This flying glitch isn’t the first game-breaking glitch to be discovered in Apex Legends, and it likely won’t be the last. In the past, bugs and exploits in the game have allowed players to continue shooting their weapon even after being knocked down, see through the Bangalore’s smoke grenades, run at very high speeds, and melee so fast that players were eliminated in seconds. The game is still very young, of course, so stuff like this is expected to happen. But the developers at Respawn would do well do clean things up before these kinds of things get too out of hand.

New Apex Legends feature would perfectly solve disconnect issue – Dexerto
New Apex Legends feature would perfectly solve disconnect issue Despite its immense success, Apex Legends remains full of issues, although there seems to be a simple idea that would fix one of the more annoying bugs. Any Apex player would tell you that arguably the most frustrating issue in Apex Legends is one that causes players to constantly disconnect, which not only ends their match but also forces the rest of the team to play undermanned. The solutions that Respawn Entertainment offered have proven to be temporary at best, as the issue remains a huge negative to the overall gaming experience. Until Respawn can figure out what’s causing the issue and patch it up, players have come up with a concept on Reddit that would be the perfect solution for disconnections. The idea is for a feature that would allow players who’ve disconnected from a match to connect back and continue playing from where they left off. During this 45 second period, the character would continue to be a part of the game as normal, meaning enemies can shoot it down and loot the inventory crate. Read More: How to melee attack faster in Apex Legends – Once the player reconnects, they can then continue playing normally from the point where they disconnected. If their character happens to be eliminated by then, teammates can still retrieve its card and respawn it back via one of the beacons. However, if the player is unable to reconnect by the end of the 45 seconds, then their character will simply turn into a normal loot crate and the player will no longer have the option to try and rejoin the match. This feature would offer a lot of positives to the Apex Legends gaming experience without really having any potential downsides or negatives. For one, it would allow players to avoid the major frustration of being kicked out of a match, especially if they were having a solid game. It would also save teams from unnecessarily having to play a man down, which can be the difference between winning and losing. There would also not really be any way to exploit or abuse this, as it would only work for players who have seen their connection to a match be severed. A feature like this would never really go to waste either, even after the issue gets fixed, as there are always going to be situations where players get disconnected.

New Apex Legends exploit makes Wraith nearly impossible to fight – Dexerto
New Apex Legends exploit makes Wraith nearly impossible to fight Respawn EntertainmentWraith is already at the top of the Apex Legends popularity chart in Season 11 but this new exploit makes her almost impossible to knock down in a fight. Staying alive is the name of the game for Apex’s resident Voidwalker, and a newly discovered bug is helping her do so better than ever before. Wraith’s tactical ability Into The Void allows her to shift dimensions, meaning she can get in and out of fights without putting herself directly in harm’s way. It’s already pretty powerful, but a glitch that removes its cooldown entirely makes keeping up with her an almost insurmountable task. Apex Legends exploit makes Wraith impossible to fight As shown in a video by Apex YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, this reset happens after wall-bouncing right at the end of a Voidwalk. There is a small window of opportunity where interrupting the end of the ability with a bounce will actually eliminate the need for a cooldown, allowing Wraith to immediately phase shift again immediately. While we’ve previously seen resets that are only functional for Mouse and Keyboard players, this can be pulled off no matter what input a player is using, so console players could potentially do it too. In the comments of the video, one user simultaneously joked about Wraith’s spike in popularity in Season 11 and took a shot at her poor past performance at the same time: “Wraith mains practice in firing range: Before – exiting to lobby in seconds, now- unlimited phase.” Of course, an exploit like this raises several concerns about the state of the game. In an effort to explain how broken this could be, another commenter provided a scenario in which this could drastically affect the outcome of a game: “Now I shall take eight different storm fights and win with a cheese exploit. I hope this vid gets more popular so Respawn can patch it.” This is just one of a few issues — like the infinite charge Rampage glitch — that the devs will have to address to start off the year.

New Apex Legends exploit lets players quit ranked with no penalty – Dexerto
New Apex Legends exploit lets players quit ranked with no penalty Respawn EntertainmentDespite Respawn’s best efforts at stopping ‘dashboarders’ in Apex Legends, a new exploit has been found, allowing players to avoid incurring any penalties for dipping out of ranked matches early. Ranked Play in Apex is meant to test players’ true skill level, and reward them with prestigious ranks and rewards for climbing up the tiers. Of course, for this system to work, it’s crucial that the game can accurately record and track a player’s performance. When Ranked play was first introduced, some exploiters found ways of exiting a match without the game tracking score or receiving a penalty, also known as ‘dashboarding.’ Although it was effective at first, the developers quickly took a harsh stance on it, issuing bans and other penalties for players caught dashboarding. But, following the launch of the second split of Ranked Series 3, it appears a new way to dashboard has been discovered, and if not fixed soon, could run rampant. Exposed by Reddit user u/ChangeThisXBL, it’s shown that after entering a ranked match and then using the ‘return to main menu’ option, they can safely quit out of the match, and incur no abandonment penalty whatsoever. This will be an issue that Respawn aim to iron out very quickly before more cheaters exploit it and ruin ranked play for everyone else. Given the harsh stance they’ve taken against dashboarding in the past, it’s possible the developers issue retrospective punishment for anyone caught using this, so we strongly recommend resisting the temptation to do it yourself. The post has already garnered significant attention, and so it should be on Respawn’s radar very soon, if not already. Although you can report players you suspect of dashboarding, developer Eric Hewitt said in January that they can identify these cheaters themselves. hey, no need to report it manually, we can see it on our end. Judgment Day will be coming 🙂 — Eric Hewitt / Ghost (@GH057ayame) January 7, 2020 He also confirmed “judgment day” was coming for these cheaters, and it looks like another judgment day might be in order if more people start using this new exploit.

New Apex Legends exploit lets cheaters crash lobbies with Bangalore – Dexerto
New Apex Legends exploit lets cheaters crash lobbies with Bangalore YouTube: Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players beware — hackers have found a new way to crash your lobbies. A new Bangalore glitch is being abused by some to kick others out of the game, with legitimate players losing out on RP if they’re targeted. Apex Legends has had its fair share of run-ins with exploits and glitches. While some are purely cosmetic or for fun, a select few are utterly game-ruining. This latest exploit with Bangalore firmly falls into the latter camp. The glitch, discovered by some on July 13 and circulated by popular content creator Martin ‘gdolphn’ Skrydstrup, looks pretty insane. The short of it is cheaters can constantly recast Bangalore’s ultimate on a single spot — constantly repeating as rockets hail down from the sky. With the amount of rockets being dropped breaking the game’s engine, players who are too close to the explosion crash. If this happens in a ranked game, you could be slapped with an abandon penalty and lose RP as a result. The former TSM coach was stumped when he came across it in his game, with his head falling into his hands as he was booted from the server. However, the exploit didn’t just appear overnight. Some players are stating they discovered it a couple of months ago, even sending off clips to Respawn with no action taken. While Respawn hasn’t responded to the latest exploit their previous stance would apply here: if players are caught abusing this cheat, they’ll have their accounts permanently suspended. No questions asked. So if you run across the Bangalore exploit in your ranked games, all you can really do is hope you’re far enough away that your game doesn’t crash. Otherwise, EA support is urging players to report it (although that’s if you can get killed without crashing).

New Apex Legends event skin dubbed “pay-to-lose” due to visual bug – Dexerto
New Apex Legends event skin dubbed “pay-to-lose” due to visual bug Respawn EntertainmentThe Warriors Collection Event is finally live in Apex Legends, but a new weapon skin is being dubbed “pay-to-lose” by players. The Apex Legends Warriors Collection event has introduced plenty of new content for players to sink their teeth into. There’s the New ‘Drop-Off’ Arenas map, return of Control LTM, and highly-anticipated next-gen upgrades. On top of all the exciting new content, Respawn has also introduced a number of balance updates. Aside from these additions, the devs have also included new unlockables that can be earned by participating in the game’s event. Just like previous Collection updates, players can claim some great-looking weapon cosmetics, however, one of the new camos is being dubbed “pay-to-lose” due to a visual glitch. Apex Legends Warriors Collection weapon skin is pay-to-lose While the Charge Rifle may not be the most popular gun in Apex Legends’ weapon meta, the new Warriors Collection skin looks incredibly cool. The Curse of the Amazon is a Legendary Charge Rifle skin that is unlocked after reaching 5,000 points in the event tracker. The new Charge Rifle skin is decked out with a gold finish, which gives it a really sleek look, and one many players will want to add to their collection. However, there is currently a serious issue that is making the Curse of the Amazon “pay-to-lose”. In fact, whenever players zoom down scopes that take up the entire screen, the gun’s barrel is still visible. This was highlighted by Apex Legends YouTuber, Skeptation, who showcased how broken the skin is when equipped with the 6x Sniper scope. This is obviously a huge problem as the added visual clutter can greatly affect your overall aim. For now, it’s best to avoid high magnification optics or simply remove the cosmetic entirely if you wish to use the Charge Rifle. Hopefully, Respawn will fix this issue sooner rather than later.

New Apex Legends easter egg teases major Season 5 map changes – Dexerto
New Apex Legends easter egg teases major Season 5 map changes Respawn EntertainmentA newly discovered Apex Legends easter egg added more information to the battle royale’s deep lore, while also teasing possible changes to Kings Canyon in Season 5. Landing at the Dome on World’s Edge, user ‘HIRUZENandENMA’ showed how to find the new easter egg in Apex Legends. After activating the Ares Division device, a small map of a laboratory maze beneath the ground can be seen on the screen. Aside from the valuable information that it adds to the Apex lore tag, it also serves as the first of many teasers for Season 5 – which could take players to a new map or back to an upgraded Kings Canyon. With the end of Season 4 seemingly on the horizon, it’s not uncommon for Respawn to begin the hype train for the next chapter of the game – but the direct implications they tend to have for the title is a grasping element that keeps players on their toes. Read more: 5 features Apex Legends needs in Season 5 – A prominent location during Kings Canyon was the underground facility called ‘Singh Labs.’ Although the image of the device shows noticeable extensions, possibly foreshadowing reconstruction from the blocked off corridors in the game. However, a direct link to possible changes in the next season is murky, at best. Respawn could be planning a series of hints to come. There’s a relationship outside of the Apex Legends servers, where the devs plant interactive games while waiting for the community to stumble onto its trail. It’s a fun dynamic like this that keeps the community locked into any follow-up teasers. ‘TheGamingMerchant,’ a prominent Apex data miner and lore master, can already see the implications this kind of teaser might have. “‘Has the puzzle just began, or is there more to the puzzle?’” TheGamingMerchant asked. (timestamp at 0:52 for mobile readers) Data miner ‘The_Suum’ also shared an image of “some underground thing” which could be linked to a future teaser An image from another miner called ‘Shrugtal’ shows what could be a schedule for future teasers, as well. There are bound to be more surprises as Apex Legends ramps up to Season 5, and fans will be anticipating and speculate about the next chapter for the battle royale.

Apex Legends door and death box glitch is instantly killing players – Dexerto
Apex Legends door and death box glitch is instantly killing players Respawn EntertainmentPopular battle royale game Apex Legends has had its fair share of glitches and bugs since the games release back in February, but this newly discovered issue with doors might be among the most frustrating. Despite Respawn’s best efforts, Apex Legends is not free from in-game glitches that can spoil a match for their players and new ones are being found since the launch of Season 2. This new Apex Legends glitch which was found included some of the doors inside the popular Bunker location in King’s Canyon, one of the locations to survive from Season 1. One player discovered just how lethal doors could be, if you’re unlucky enough, after watching his teammate die instantly due to this bizarre bug. He and his team had just finished battling it out with another squad when he walked out of a door inside the Bunker to collect some loot from their death boxes His teammate followed shortly after, however, he did not have the same luck with passing through the door, which was being held open by an enemy’s death box, as it killed him instantly much to the shock of him and his team. Respawn developers currently seem to be unaware of this frustrating glitch, as it has not yet been pinned on their public glitch tracker. The “Apex Tracker” was released in early July in order to inform fans what the developers were working on and offers players the chance to issue any bugs that can ruin players experiences, such as this one. It seems as if the main cause of the glitch was due to the player becoming trapped between the door and the death box. Although with how likely kills are to take place within the bunker, this glitch could affect a lot more Apex Legends players in the future.

New Apex Legends cheat forces players to drop all their ammo – Dexerto
New Apex Legends cheat forces players to drop all their ammo Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends cheaters are a crafty bunch, and they’ve moved far beyond the typical wall hacks and aimbots that are typically associated with cheaters. A new method of cheating involves players being forced to reload and drop all their ammo when hitting them. The grind to get to (and maintain) Predator rank never stops for high-level Apex Legends players. With everyone striving to break into the top 750, things on the ranked ladder get extremely competitive. As such, there’s no shortage of hackers either trying to hit Predator themselves or trying to ruin a streamer’s day by using unfair advantages to keep them from hitting their goals. Most of the time, people who use cheats on Apex Legends have your typical arsenal; aim botting and wall hacking are standard affairs for hackers. However, a new method of cheating has emerged that involves players being forced to reload and drop all their ammo upon landing a hit on them. Apex Legends cheaters force enemies to drop all their ammo Cheaters are nothing new when it comes to Apex Legends. Respawn have been fighting against cheaters since the game’s release, and it’s been a back-and-forth battle to keep them from playing. However, they keep finding new ways to manipulate the mechanics of Apex Legends to swing the game in their favor. Much to the ire of many streamers and high-level players trying to climb to the top. A new type of cheat has started hitting the servers, one that forces players to drop all their ammo and reload their weapons upon landing shots on them. Unless you’ve got a Kraber, it makes killing them almost impossible. High-level player and streamer gdolphn encountered one of these cheaters in their match. The Nemesis fares a bit better than non-burst weapons since it gets four shots off before having to reload, but this firefight was understandably frustrating for the streamer, and the people who partied with him. According to his account, it drops ammo in your inventory as well as ammo that you don’t even have. This allows the hacker to, in theory, never run out of ammo without having to modify the game in order to give them more ammo in their magazine or in their inventory. Cheats like this make it much harder for built-in solutions for situations like this to automatically flag players who aren’t playing fair.

New Apex Legends character concept adds hoverboard and super sliding – Dexerto
New Apex Legends character concept adds hoverboard and super sliding Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has created a character whose kit completely revolves around mobility and even includes a hoverboard. With every seasonal update, a new character is added to the roster and players spend countless hours mastering their intricate mechanics and abilities. Now that the teasers for Season 13 have finally arrived in-game, it looks like Newcastle will be the new face arriving in the Outlands in May. Despite this, some members of the community aren’t satisfied with just waiting for the next Legend reveal and instead take matters into their own hands. Well, that’s exactly what Reddit user angraal did with their character concept, showcasing a mobility-based Legend called Slide. Character concept adds hoverboards to Apex Originally from the planet Psamathe, Slide is a mechanics genius who loves nothing better than hopping on his hoverboard. In the hopes of making his parents proud, he’s joined the Apex Games and has enough mobility to rival Octane. For starters, Slide’s Passive Accelerated Slide gives him a short speed boost on his hoverboard once he’s glided for an extended period of time. When it comes to his Tactical Blinding Drift, Slide skids along the ground to create a wall of dust that interferes with enemy visibility. Finally, Slide’s Ultimate Hoverboards create two mini hoverboards that anyone can use. They allow allies to move faster and even come with a short speed boost, but abilities cannot be used while riding the boards. Without a doubt, angraal has created an impressive concept that has captured the community’s attention. With Octane being so popular, it would make sense for Respawn to add another mobility-centric Legend to the game in the near future. Let’s hope the devs take note of angraal’s idea, as hoverboards in the Outlands would make rotating to different POIs extremely fun.

Life is Strange players convinced new Apex Legends character is a copy – Dexerto
Life is Strange players convinced new Apex Legends character is a copy Square Enix, Electronic ArtsSome Life is Strange fans think Respawn took inspiration from Chloe Price when designing the new Apex Legends character, Catalyst. A defensive Legend, Catalyst will join the Apex Legends line-up with the advent of Season 15 – Eclipse – on Tuesday, November 1. To the delight of many, Catalyst is the first trans character in Apex history. And Respawn recently offered more details about her backstory in a new Story from the Outlands video. This glimpse into Catalyst’s past depicts a disagreement with a friend about how best to save the moon of Boreas. Nestled within this brief tale are also the presumed beginnings of something deeper. LiS fans think Chloe inspired Apex Legends’ new character Following the release of the Catalyst story trailer, Reddit user Rodya003 posed a question to the Apex Legends community on Reddit. The player thinks Catalyst may have been inspired by Life is Strange’s Chloe Price. It’s not just because of the blue streaks in the former’s hair, either. In the aforementioned trailer, Catalyst and her best friend, Margot, are separated following an attack. Prior to said attack, a scene between the two suggests at least one of them may foster underlying romantic feelings for the other. Chloe’s relationship with her friend, Rachel, is strikingly similar. And a comparison photo showing the two different pairs leads some to believe Chloe and Rachel influenced Catalyst and Margot. A few people in the Reddit thread agree with the original poster’s assumption, with one person noting, “I felt a LiS vibe while watching the story.” Others disagree, however, saying they were reminded of Vi and Caitlyn, or Vi and Jinx, in Netflix’s Arcane series. Some users mentioned getting Misty from Cyberpunk 2077 vibes from Margot. The source of inspiration aside, Catalyst comes to Apex Legends when Eclipse launches on November 1.

New Apex Legends bug sends players flying across map in Tridents – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug sends players flying across map in Tridents Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is no stranger to hilarious bugs, and with the release of Season 7 it appears players have discovered another entertaining exploit; using questionable in-game physics, players have been sending the game’s new Trident vehicles soaring across Olympus. Apex Legends, Respawn’s popular Battle Royale title, is no stranger to unintended issues arriving with the release of a new update. It appears with the release of Season 7, a new bug has been introduced involving the Trident, the first vehicle Respawn introduced in Apex Legends. Players discover unintended vehicle exploits In the days since Season 7 of Apex Legends released, videos have appeared of players manipulating the game’s new vehicles in completely unintended ways. One video, posted on Reddit by u/TheGrizzlyMoose, shows him ramming his Trident into an Olympus loot bin. The result of the interaction between the vehicle and the loot bin does not appear to be what the player was expecting. After the player slams his Trident into a bin outside of Oasis, he and his teammate are sent flying through the air. The vehicle gains enough height to clear the mountains surrounding Turbine, then slips perfectly down the chute in the center of Hammond Labs. Both players explode into laughter after the vehicle comes crashing to a stop inside the building. In another highly-upvoted clip on Reddit, user u/Xeppeling maneuvers his Trident onto an Octane jump pad. After an initial bounce, the Trident lands on the ground and then shoots off into the air. u/Xeppeling was able to complete the exact same landing as u/TheGrizzlyMoose, sinking his vehicle into the chute at Hammond Labs and making it inside. It appears that players are finding other ways to exploit the interaction between Octane’s jump pad and the new vehicles introduced by Respawn. Another highly upvoted Reddit post by u/TheTurkeySandvich shows him repeatedly exploiting this interaction to send his Trident flying across the map. In one instance, he propels himself out-of-bounds and manages to reach the giant balloons floating outside the map before falling to his demise. Respawn has the issue on their radar Reddit users quickly began questioning the bug in detail, asking why the Tridents reacted so strangely in certain situations. Another question raised was if the new Trident bug is related to an older exploit that allowed players to fling themselves across King’s Canyon using loot bins shortly after the game’s release. That bug was patched by Respawn, but it may now exist in another form related to the game’s vehicles. An Apex Legends team member was quick to jump into the conversation surrounding the strange behavior put on display in u/TheGrizzlyMoose’s post. Respawn balance designer u/RSPN_JayBiebs did confirm that while the team does not have an answer for the community yet, “this will be a topic of conversation when we get back into the virtual office tomorrow”. Expect further updates from Respawn on these vehicle-related issues in the coming days.

New Apex Legends bug allows players to down each other in drop ship – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug allows players to down each other in drop ship A bug in the latest Apex Legends v3.1 patch has meant that players can now down opponents before they even get the chance to land. Imagine loading into a game of Apex Legends with your mates. You are getting ready to drop onto Worlds Edge, looking forward to a game filled with plenty of kills and intense action. Except, instead of dropping normally, your body flops aimlessly towards the ground, downed without a bit of health. That could be you in this current patch, as there’s an exploitable bug which allows players to down each other before they even drop onto the map. Currently, as you load into game, you can run around and melee people in the drop ship. You can’t see where you are in the ship, or who you are meleeing, but it’s possible to land a few pot shots onto someone and down them before the game even starts. Read more: Apex Legends v3.1 patch notes – You can start meleeing from loading screen – even before the drop ship countdown is done – meaning you can down a couple of opponents in the fifteen seconds it takes to start the game. If you and your partners are all downed in the drop ship, you will be eliminated from the game before it even starts. However, if you aren’t knocked in the ship, your health will refresh to full once you jump out to your preferred landing zone. This can have a major impact on the game. Instead of landing healthy and ready to loot, you must first stop to revive before getting equipment. Plus, if you get the chance to revive a downed ally as they land, they’ll only come back with the default 20 health. That means you might not have adequate time to prepare for later rounds before the circle closes in, or leave you vulnerable to nearby teams who didn’t have to wait for a downed ally. You might also be lacking supplies, so you might not even have enough meds to top your mate up. Thankfully, Respawn Entertainment are aware of the bug and are working on a fix to be deployed as soon as possible, although there’s no current ETA on the patch. We will update you once a fix is released. It’s a bug we’re actively investigating. Should have a fix out soon. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) November 6, 2019 For now, players will have to be mindful of where they stand in the drop ship, and try and aimlessly run around to avoid getting knocked down before the game even starts.

New Apex Legends bug is making Gibraltar even more useless than he normally is – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug is making Gibraltar even more useless than he normally is Respawn EntertainmentPlayers are starting to find that not all characters in Apex Legends bring the same kind of firepower to a fight. Legends like Gibraltar specialize in providing defensive support to squads, but a new bug is making that impossibly difficult. Respawn Entertainment landed on a gold mine when they released their battle royale on February 4 which was quickly welcomed by millions of players. But the developers have been feeling growing pains as game-breaking bugs and persistent hackers plague their game. Now a new bug has been making its way around the Apex servers that makes it incredibly easy to penetrate Gibraltar’s main line of defense. New bug has cracked the Shielded Fortress In a Reddit post, user ‘__ayydrian__’ showed a bug with Gibraltar’s tactical ability Dome of Protection that’s letting more than a few shots pass through as if it wasn’t even there. The Dome of Protection let’s the players “throw down a dome shield that blocks attacks for 15 seconds.” But it didn’t even take 3 seconds for ayydrian to realize that their squad wasn’t completely safe under the bubble shield. After placing the Dome of Protection on the steps of their building, the protection wrapped the room where it covered a teammate taking fire. As the Gibraltar was moving in to give support, the player is clearly behind the protection of the dome when they take a shot from the outside. That was just the tip of the bug’s power. Moments laters, another opponent using a Havoc was reigning down on the squad with a barrage of bullets that made its way through the dome with ease. Can the Havoc shoot through Gibraltar’s shield? Although the Apex developers gave the Havoc along with all Energy guns an added effect to them, there isn’t a known mechanic that would let it penetrate the Dome of Protection as easily as it does in the clip. The bug was able to confuse a ton of players in the Reddit thread, with some thinking the cause of the effect was the placement of the shield. “Since building floors are set on a box above terrain this allows this to happen,” Reddit user ‘treydv3’ guessed. “The guy firing was outside standing on the ground, while the shield was set inside the building. I dunno what I’m saying…” Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection bug is a perplexing occurrence, and one that the team at Respawn Entertainment are sure to take a closer look to patch it up.

New Apex Legends bug lets you move & jump while downed in Season 10 – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug lets you move & jump while downed in Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentA strange Apex Legends bug is allowing downed players to move at normal speed, jump, and still utilize teammate’s Ultimate abilities, making it easy for them to escape danger. The Apex Legends Season 10 update has arrived and although players are enjoying ambushing their enemies with the new Legend Seer and beaming down opponents with the Rampage LMG, there are a few bugs that came with the major update. While none of the issues are completely game-breaking or ruining matches, one of them is causing problems when players have been downed in a gunfight. It appears to occur when any enemy cancels or gets their finisher interrupted on an opponent. For whatever reason, this interaction gives the downed player increased movement speed and the ability to jump like a frog. Apex glitch gives downed players the ability to jump & move A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit showcasing a finisher bug that gives downed players extra movement speed has garnered over 1,500 upvotes at the time of writing. As shown by vastowen in the Practice Range, when a player cancels or gets their finisher interrupted, the downed player on the ground gets a permanent boost to their movement speed and can even jump around. After a lot more testing, they realized that the glitch is permanent after it’s occurred once in a match and downed players can even use Valkyrie’s Ultimate to escape during the bugged state. This can lead to some frustrating situations for enemy squads, with downed players being able to escape dangerous situations and flee to cover. Although this glitch is quite rare, it could easily occur in a close-quarter gunfight or if a squad gets third-partied. Apex players constantly get their finisher interrupted and as the bug is permanent after it’s happened once, this is definitely an issue Respawn will need to address. As the Season 10 update has just gone live, it’s hard to know how long it will take the devs to find a fix. For now, just make sure the area is completely clear before you decide to use your finisher on a downed opponent.

New Apex Legends bug is trapping players in crates on Winter Express – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug is trapping players in crates on Winter Express Respawn EntertainmentA new bug has been discovered in Apex Legends during the Holo-Day Bash 2020 event that’s trapping players in boxes in the game’s Winter Express LTM, and the only way to escape appears to be quitting early. The Holo-Day Bash 2020 event in Apex Legends brought back the Winter Express limited-time mode, which takes place on World’s Edge and features three teams fighting for control of the train as it moves around the map. Players had already reported several glitches and issues that appeared in the LTM; in one case, some were being instantly eliminated when pushed into the train’s surfaces by teammates. Now, another massive bug seems to be rearing its ugly head in the LTM: players are being trapped in boxes on the train with no way to escape. A clip shared by ‘u/Solalgaleo’ shows the player trapped inside one of the boxes on the train. Playing as Lifeline, they attempt several actions like firing their weapon, deploying their D.O.C. drone, and putting down holo-sprays, none of which work to help them escape. While they can perform all of these actions without issue, the player cannot move outside the enclosed area. They can also see others outside of the crate, but cannot deal or receive damage while trapped in the box. In another clip shared by ‘u/SirKona’, a similar situation unfolds. While stuck in one of the train’s boxes, they fired their Volt SMG and attempted to move outside of the crate, but both actions seem to have no effect. The user also describes what got them into this interesting situation: “So as soon as the round started I ran up and jumped up onto box as the train was going down a slope, which is what I believe is what caused me to glitch inside of crate.” The post ends with the user saying they left the match because being separated from the enemy teams was an unfair advantage. Even though the enemies were unreachable, the player was also technically invincible and could not be eliminated. It appears the team at Respawn is not yet aware of this issue; they have not responded to either Reddit post or added the bug to their Trello board where they track the issues currently being worked on. The developer is already working to address “issues with getting killed by unintended ways on Winter Express train,” but it appears that players will need to wait and see how Respawn plans to address this new glitch.

New Apex Legends bug is forcing players to stay knocked down – Dexerto
New Apex Legends bug is forcing players to stay knocked down The number of odd and potentially game-breaking glitches in Apex Legends continues to pile up as a newly discovered bug is not letting players get up from their knocked positions. Although Apex Legends has been remarkably successful since its surprise release back in early February, the game continues to have more than its fair share of glitches, bugs, and exploits. Some of these irregularities have been proven to be severe enough where they could threaten the integrity and continuity of matches, such as this knockdown bug that’s ruining players’ gaming experiences. New bug forces players to stay knocked down On April 15, Reddit user ‘ComputerSlime‘ posted about coming across a new bug that was forcing his Pathfinder to stay in a knocked down position. At the start of the clip, the Pathfinder gets knocked down by an enemy player and proceeds to get revived by a teammate. However, despite being brought back to life, the player is seen to be stuck in that crouched position, unable to move. The truly weird thing about the whole sequence was that the player was able to do pretty much everything normally, such as use healing items or fire his weapon. The player is even able to revive his knocked teammate, who gets up and proceeds as normal while his character continues to lay on the ground unable to budge. Read More: Apex Legends L-Star weapon animations leaked – This becomes most apparent when he tries to use the Pathfinder’s Grapple Hook ability, which despite latching onto nearby surfaces, was unable to move the player from the spot. Respawn would do well to patch up these bugs and glitches before the game becomes to ruined for players to enjoy. Other knockdown bugs and glitches in Apex Legends This isn’t the only major bug in Apex Legends that involves being knocked down; shortly after the game’s release, players discovered a game-breaking glitch that was allowing players to use their weapon while still being knocked down, even before they had been revived. Seeing as how that glitch continues to pop up here and there, even after all this time, suggests that this new knockdown bug may end up lasting for a relatively long time before Respawn Entertainment are able to patch it.

New Apex Legends audio files leaked for unreleased Revenant Legend – Dexerto
New Apex Legends audio files leaked for unreleased Revenant Legend Prominent Apex Legends dataminer ‘That1MiningGuy’ has found and leaked new audio files for the yet-to-be-announced Revenant Legend. With Season 3: Meltdown winding down in Apex Legends, fans are starting to look at all of the new content that Season 4 will bring, specifically the next Legend. While no one knows for sure who or what the next Legends will be, there is overwhelming speculation based on leaks and rumors that it will be Revenant, a mysterious robotic character with human consciousness. There have been a good amount of information and visuals leaked regarding Revenant, and most recently, That1MiningGuy discovered some audio files to add to the list. There are six audio files in total and it appears that they’re all for one of the Legend’s supposed abilities, called ‘Mark for Death.’ https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1208545027909181440 What is Mark for Death? Mark for Death was initially leaked as one of Revenant’s six total abilities. No, that’s not a type. Apparently, unlike any of the other Legends that currently exist in the game, Revenant was supposed to have two sets of abilities – one for his Regular Stance and one for his Shadow Stance. However, following the massive v3.1 update, Revenant’s game files were updated to no longer include the Shadow Stance, consolidating the two sets into a single set of four abilities, including Mark for Death. The way it will supposedly work is that Revenant will be able to fire a poison dagger at any enemy player, allowing the Legend to track the enemy’s location for up to 60 seconds. Read More: How to turn off Muzzle Flash in Apex Legends – The discovery of the audio files is further evidence that this ability will be in the game at some point. That1MiningGuy also uploaded all of the new sounds to a SoundCloud page for everyone to access. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1208546345847599105 When is Revenant coming to Apex Legends? With there being so much information leaked about so many unreleased Legends, it’s hard to tell which one will be next to make its debut, especially since Respawn Entertainment always remains silent until the official announcement. However, there’s no doubt that Revenant is far along in its development, especially since a developer even tweeted this image, making it one of the likely candidates for Season 4. Read More: All leaked Legends and their abilities – At this point, it’s more of a wait-and-see game more than anything else. That said, you can catch up on all of the leaked details, abilities, lore, and visuals by checking out our ‘Who is Revenant’ info hub.

New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Overflow’ leaked – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Overflow’ leaked Respawn EntertainmentFollowing the Genesis Collection Event, Apex Legends dataminers have found a set of images showcasing the new ‘Overflow’ Arenas map in the game files. Although Apex Legends Season 9 got off to a rather slow start in terms of content, Respawn has stepped up a gear with the recently released Genesis Collection event. Not only can players earn Revenant’s new Dead Man’s Curve heirloom, but they’re also enjoying dropping into the classic Kings Canyon and Worlds Edge maps. Despite all of the new content, the community’s eyes are already looking to the future, and wondering what the devs have in store for them next. Well, a set of leaks from Shrugtal and KralRindo may have provided the answer, as the dataminers have managed to find images of a new Arenas map in the game files. Overflow Arenas map leaked Since its release back at the start of Season 9, Arenas has been popular among Apex’s community. Although it hasn’t overtaken the BR, it offers players a faster-paced gameplay experience with a level of customization that cannot be found in the battle royale. With the release of the limited-time Skull Town map alongside the Genesis Collection Event, it’s clear the player base is keen for Respawn to add even more maps for Arenas. Of course, the devs have plans to do exactly that. After searching through the game files following the 9.1 update, dataminers have managed to find some images of a new ‘Overflow’ map. New Arena Map from the trailer in the files now: “”Overflow”” pic.twitter.com/uR9BTaFJTE — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 29, 2021 By the looks of it, the map appears to be based in a functioning factory with channels of lava flowing across the entire area. This is one of the most visually impressive Arenas map Respawn has designed so far. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1410000337738600454 Dataminer KralRindo even managed to find a blueprint-style image that shows the overall layout of the map. By the looks of it, Overflow has been designed with a single lane that expands into a large area in the middle. This mid-section will be where the majority of the action unfolds, with squads having to battle amongst cascading lava flows and huge futuristic machinery. It looks as if Respawn has included a variety of ledges, terrain, and hidden spots for players to discover, just make sure you don’t slip, or you may end up in a spot of bother. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1409957452381147137 Respawn has not announced an official release date for the ‘Overflow’ map, so it’s difficult to predict when it’ll be added into the game. However, with leaks suggesting that an upcoming Arenas event is arriving in mid-July, it’s possible the map will arrive alongside it. Otherwise, it might launch with the next Season. For now, it’s just a waiting game but hopefully, Overflow will be one of many Arenas maps that Respawn is planning on adding in the future.

New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Habitat’ leaked – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Habitat’ leaked Respawn EntertainmentFollowing the release of the Raiders Collection Event, Apex Legends dataminers have found images of the new ‘Habitat’ Arenas map in the game files. Season 11’s Raiders Collection event has arrived in Apex Legends and it’s reintroduced the Winter Express LTM, as well as giving Wattson her very own Heirloom. Despite all of this exciting content, the community is always focused on what’s coming next, and dataminers have already begun providing the answers. Unfortunately, Raiders didn’t come with any new features for Arenas, with the event mainly focusing on the battle royale side of the game. However, it looks like the devs have plans for the 3v3 mode in the near future, as the new ‘Habitat’ map has been discovered in the game files. Dataminers discover new ‘Habitat’ Arenas map in Apex Legends As soon as the Raiders Collection event went live, dataminers were hard at work looking for any clues or information on new content coming in the future. Luckily, it wasn’t long before reliable Apex leaker KralRindo discovered the new upcoming Arenas map ‘Habitat’. Not only did they find evidence of the map existing, but they also found concept art and it looks absolutely incredible. Seemingly mirroring the tropical theme of Storm Point, ‘Habitat’ looks to be a lush landscape with a large river running through the middle, a perfect battleground for Arenas. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1468287943144099842 KralRindo even managed to find an image of the map’s exact layout, and it looks like it’s going to be very different from the Arenas maps we’ve seen so far. By the looks of it, ‘Habitat’ is going to be filled with elevated sections of land surrounded by small bodies of water that players can drop down into. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1468331047133794309 Reliable dataminer Shrugtal managed to uncover another load screen for the map which appears to show three large eggs. This has led some to speculate that ‘Habitat’ may be similar to Storm Point and contain Wildlife for players to takedown. New Arena Map: “”Habitat”” loadscreen. Yes, those are eggs. pic.twitter.com/Z1RtdA4Ipv — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) December 7, 2021 When it comes to a release date, it’s hard to know when Respawn will add ‘Habitat’ to the game as the season’s Collection event has already been and gone. So, it’s likely we’ll be seeing the tropical 3v3 battleground in Season 12, but who knows, there’s a chance the devs roll it out before then. For now, we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for any more leaks and see if Respawn makes an official announcement in the near future.

New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Encore’ leaked – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Encore’ leaked Respawn EntertainmentFollowing the release of the Evolution Collection Event, Apex Legends dataminers have found images of the new ‘Encore’ Arenas map in the game files. Season 10’s Collection Event has arrived in the form of Evolution, and it’s introduced Big Maude to Worlds Edge, as well as giving Rampart her very own heirloom. Despite all of the exciting new content, the community’s attention is already focused on what’s coming next, and dataminers have begun providing the answers. While Evolution did add Rampart’s modded weapons to Arenas, there were no huge additions to the 3v3 elimination mode. However, that looks like it’s going to change very soon, as the new ‘Encore’ map has been discovered in the game files. Dataminers discover new ‘Encore’ Arenas map in Apex Legends With Arenas ranked arriving in Season 10, players are desperate for new maps to be released and luckily, it looks like Respawn plan on delivering exactly that. Thanks to reliable Apex Legends dataminer Shrugtal, the community has been given their first look at the new ‘Encore’ Arenas map. With tropical trees and a neon blue stage-like theme, this is definitely a location where players will be able to showcase their skills and tactical gameplay. Although the image gives us very little information about the layout of ‘Encore’, it’s certainly visually impressive. The map’s theme has suggested to some that it could be related to Seer, due to the stage-style design and blue color scheme, but nothing has been confirmed at this point in time. New Arenas map in the files now: “”Encore”” pic.twitter.com/zTdo2W63Sx — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) September 14, 2021 For now, it’s impossible to know when Respawn plans to release ‘Encore’ into the game, but it’ll likely be alongside an event. Hopefully, it arrives in the near future, as Arenas players are desperate for another location to battle on and showcase their skills. Make sure to follow along at @alphaINTEL to keep up with all the latest Apex Legends news.

New Apex Legends Arena map has a surprising tie-in to Seer – Dexerto
New Apex Legends Arena map has a surprising tie-in to Seer Respawn EntertainmentThe Monsters Within update is coming to Apex Legends ahead of Halloween, bringing a new Seer-themed Arena map along with it. While Fight or Fright has become a classic event in the Apex community, this year’s edition has been given a significant upgrade in the form of the Monsters Within update. Featuring a handful of terrifying skins and cosmetics, it will also see the return of the Shadow Royale game mode and the debut of Encore, an arenas map set on Seer’s home planet of Boreas. Encore is a vibrant battlefield that combines the best of the title’s close-quarters combat with huge patches of open ground, meaning there is plenty of room to get creative with your playstyle no matter who you prefer to play with. Apex Legends Monsters Within update: New Arenas map Similar to Apex’s other urban-style map Party Crasher, Encore is split into three lanes that feature a good mix of vertical and horizontal gameplay options. Bangalore for example, could take over the center portion of the map playing off the coverage of her smoke grenades, while someone like Pathfinder might prefer to lurk the outside edges to find the perfect opportunity to swing into the action. The map is also special for its connection to the game’s newest Legend, Seer, as it is set on his homeworld of Boreas. That’s not the only thing that ties him in, though. In his character bio, Obi Edolasim is described as being a cursed child, who “would bring pain and suffering to the world”. On the night of his birth, a meteor struck the moon of Boreas, solidifying his unearned reputation. It wasn’t until he started earning acclaim for his prowess in the Arenas that Seer was able to shake off the notion of being some kind of monster: “The boy born under a bad omen and a terrible myth has taken this tale and created an even greater legend. He is Seer— an icon of the shunned, the unaccepted, and the unabashedly original.” With all of this connection to Apex’s resident Ambush Artist, it would make sense if there were a few more easter eggs for his backstory hidden elsewhere on the map. We’ll have to wait for the official release on October 12 to search for any other connections.

Netcode analysis of Apex Legends shows major issues with tickrate and lag compensation – Dexerto
Netcode analysis of Apex Legends shows major issues with tickrate and lag compensation YouTuber Battle(non)sense has completed a thorough testing of the netcode in Apex Legends, the new battle royale game which has taken the community by storm since its surprise release – and he has some major concerns. Battle(non)sense has produced numerous trusted netcode analysis videos in the past, with a focus on multiplayer games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, CS:GO and of course battle royale games like PUBG, Fortnite and Blackout. Apex Legends has already hit 25 million unique players, only seven days after launch, and the game itself has been roundly praised, but server stability and connection issues have been far from perfect. In his February 16 video, Battle(non)sense goes into great detail as to why exactly he deems the netcode of Apex Legends to be so poor. More: Apex Legends: Respawn shares new details on future updates and teases Season 1 reveal livestream – In comparison to other games, the delay between damage, gunfire and movement for two players on the same server and ping, was much bigger in Apex Legends. For example, The maximum delay in Blackout for gunfire was 124 milliseconds, but in Apex the maximum delay was double that, at 250 milliseconds. Some worryingly high delay figures in Apex Legends. Another important test, was showing that lag compensation in Apex Legends also has a profound impact on gameplay. By showing a player with over 300 ping shoot a moving enemy who has a ping of only 24, the issue with lag compensation in Apex Legends is easy to see even to the untrained eye. The player with low ping is well behind the wall, but the high ping player’s shot still registers. There is good news though, as Respawn Entertainment have made clear that they are working tirelessly to improve the stability and performance of Apex Legends. They recently put up a job listing for a Senior Network Engineer to work on Apex Legends, stating they are looking for someone to “work on a very complex netcode system – client prediction, client/server architecture, where the server simulation is authoritative and clients aren’t trusted.” Hopefully Respawn will improve upon the current netcode, and have Apex Legends fulfil its potential as one of the very best battle royale games available. You can watch Battle(non)sense’s full video on Apex Legends’ netcode below.

Nemesis AR finally nerfed after months of Apex Legends dominance – Dexerto
Nemesis AR finally nerfed after months of Apex Legends dominance Respawn EntertainmentRespawn finally hit the Nemesis AR with a nerf after the burst rifle terrorized Apex Legends lobbies for over two seasons. Harbingers Collection, the latest Apex Legends event, goes live on September 19. Players can expect a new LTM, Living Shell Trios, which introduces a new “target-seeking grenade.” Other highlights include an alternate version of World’s Edge, collection event skins, and balancing changes. Most notably, Horizon and Revenant saw nerfs after dominating the battle royale’s meta. As of Season 18, Revenant led all Legends with a 9.6% pick rate and Horizon was one of three choices to appear in 42% of ALGS Championship matches. Time will tell how much these nerfs impact the game moving forward, and it wasn’t just legends that experienced substantial changes. The Nemesis AR finally suffered a downgrade, so let’s jump right into how the weapon performs differently. Nemesis AR nerfed in Apex Legends Harbingers Collection event Season 16 introduced the Nemesis and the energy AR has been a mainstay in the game’s long-range meta ever since. In our most recent weapon tier list, we ranked the burst rifle in the S tier, thanks to a devastating damage output, high fire rate, low recoil, and minimal bullet drop. The weapon requires a little bit of a learning curve, but if you can adjust to the four-shot burst, shredding through enemies becomes clockwork. A reliance on attachments and an awkward close-range fire rate is the only hindrance to an otherwise must-use weapon. However, that’s all set to change in the most recent update. On September 14, Respawn revealed the Harbinger Collection patch notes. As part of the update, the Nemesis Burst AR had its damage reduced to 16 from 17, and its ADS recoil increased. Let’s see these nerfs in action before completely writing off the Nemesis. For more, make sure to check out the rest of our Apex Legends coverage.

NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns reveals dream team for Apex Legends and Fortnite – Dexerto
NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns reveals dream team for Apex Legends and Fortnite NBA / Samsung / Respawn / Epic / Dr Disrespect TwitchNBA All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns revealed which popular Twitch streamers he’d take with him when jumping into the Apex Legends and Fortnite battle royale arenas. Towns sat down with Mathhew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop to go over everything from gaming in popular culture to their favorite anime in a hilarious episode of ‘The CouRage & Nadeshot Show.’ Gaming is seeping into every branch of entertainment these days, and it shows as the interests of prolific athletes, actors, comedians, artists and more are starting to put more of a spotlight on the esports and video game industry as a whole. The growing trend became ever more apparent when the two podcast hosts asked Towns who would be in his battle royale team and he hardly missed a beat picking the Twitch stars he’d take in Apex. “If I had to pick (an Apex team) it would be me,” Towns started. “I would take Dr Disrespect… and Imma take CouRage. Because chemistry wins games, talent doesn’t win (them.)” For those who see the clear omission of human-aimbot shroud, the hosts specifically said he couldn’t be a choice. Probably because he’d be everyone’s natural number one pick when putting together a formidable team. While there are tons of esport players like Brandon ‘Ace’ Winn and Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe dominate in the Apex Games, it looks like Towns prefers a more comedic team to take into King’s Canyon. But from Respawn’s battle royal, CouRage changed the focus to Fortnite, to see who Towns would go with for the hectic build-fest title. 600“You (CouRage), Ninja,” Towns said, before he realized the last pick should be someone who’s hilarious to play with. “Let’s go with (TimTheTatman), I never got to play with Tim. I always wanted to play with Tim.” Fortnite fans out there might have tons of incredible content on the way too, seeing as CouRage and Towns set up a tentative Fortnite session to make the dream team a reality. Towns has set himself up to be one of the NBA’s most productive centers for years to come, and if he plays his cards right, could have a riveting streaming career with his dream teams during the off-season.

Nadeshot praises Apex Legends Ranked mode which is still missing from Warzone – Dexerto
Nadeshot praises Apex Legends Ranked mode which is still missing from Warzone Twitch: Nadeshot/Respawn Entertainment100 Thieves founder and former Call of Duty pro Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has declared his love for Apex Legends and its ranked playlist, as calls continue to mount from players looking for a ranked mode in Warzone. In recent Call of Duty titles, both battle royale and regular multiplayer, one of the biggest complaints from competitive-minded players has been the lack of a good, functional ranked mode, with some releases not even featuring one at all. With many top Warzone players switching over to Apex Legends, the ranked mode has seen a fresh influx of competitors looking to work their way to Apex Predator. Joining the wave, one of those new competitors is Nadeshot, and he’s clearly massively impressed. As demands for a ranked Warzone mode continue to heat up, Nadeshot has taken what some fans believe to be a subtle jab at the Call of Duty game, praising Apex Legends for their work. In a tweet posted on September 3 that picked up a lot of interactions from top Apex pros and streamers, Nadeshot gushed about the game. “Apex Legends is addicting,” he tweeted in all caps, clearly excited by his matches. “Crazy what Ranked play can do for a game.” APEX LEGENDS IS ADDICTING. CRAZY WHAT RANKED PLAY CAN DO FOR A GAME. — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) September 3, 2021 This has been a big realization for many top players stepping over from Warzone. The integration of a ranked mode, where you can earn your ranks and truly feel like you’ve accomplished something against players of a similar skill level, isn’t present in the CoD BR at all. Nadeshot does seem to have a growing interest in Apex Legends too, having hinted in August 2021 that he might make a move to get 100 Thieves involved in the scene, in Japan in particular. What comes of this remains to be seen, but Nadeshot is clearly getting more and more involved in Apex Legends.

Mysterious UFO spotted in Apex Legends’ Kings Canyon map – Dexerto
Mysterious UFO spotted in Apex Legends’ Kings Canyon map Respawn/EAApex Legends players spotted a strange UFO-like object floating off the Broken Coast during the Lost Treasures dev stream. So, what could it be? Respawn Entertainment have held a number of dev streams in the past, showing off some new things coming to Apex Legends, while also giving fans some insight into why they’ve made a decision about a change and what else they had thought of as an alternative. With the new Lost Treasures Collection Event upon us, the devs used their stream to talk about the event and changes to legends. However, some fans spotted a strange-looking object near Broken Coast South that sent speculation into overdrive. At around the 14-minute mark of the dev stream, a mysterious looking UFO could be spotted floating just off to the side of the Broken Coast South location. Sadly, there isn’t a close-up view of it, but as Octane uses his jump pad, fans did get two looks at the strange object. While some might think that it’s there to fill space, the UFO does, however, appear to be big enough for a new map location. Some players even spotted a zipline nearby that looks like it ends up landing on the base of the strange object. Timestamp of 13:55 The Apex devs didn’t even acknowledge what was seen on screen or make attempts to not show it, which obviously sent some fans into overdrive with their theories. Plenty of Apex players suggested that it would be a part of some future map change – possibly even a Town Takeover or a part of the weekly hunt missions. However, that is all very much unconfirmed and where it was seen on the map, it wouldn’t exactly be replacing anything it was a Town Takeover location. Whether or not the UFO-like object ends up becoming apart of Kings Canyon remains to be seen, but it did look slightly unfinished in any case. We’ll just have to wait and see as to what Respawn has up their sleeve for future Apex Legends updates.

Mysterious spaceship appears in Apex Legends as possible Season 4 teaser – Dexerto
Mysterious spaceship appears in Apex Legends as possible Season 4 teaser Respawn Entertainment / Reddit – ChuzeeeeSomething mysterious has appeared in the sky above Apex Legends’ World’s Edge map, and players are perceiving it as potentially the first true teaser for the upcoming Season 4. Season 3 of Apex Legends is slowly but surely winding down, with not much longer left until it officially wraps up ahead of the launch of Season 4. In fact, January 21 marked exactly two weeks before Season 3 is scheduled to end and Season 4 is set to kick off, and it’s usually around the two-week mark that teasers for the next season start appearing in-game. That seemed to be the case when players logged on to play on January 21, who noticed a large dark cloud in the sky over Capitol City, with three lights glowing light blue in the midst of it. The lights are more than likely thrusters, which is why many fans are convinced it’s a spaceship that’s approaching the map. Whatever it is, this is probably the first official teaser for Season 4. From ground level, the spaceship is hard to see clearly. However, if you climb atop one of the towers in Capitol City with a weapon that has a high-zoom scope equipped, you should be able to spot it quite well. What this could mean for Season 4 Needless to say, the appearance of this mysterious flying object has excited the player-base, opening up a Pandora’s Box of theories and speculation as to what this could mean for Season 4. While it’s unlikely that the next chapter will be based in a new world, since World’s Edge was just introduced in Season 3, whatever is flying down could considerably alter the map as we currently know it. Read More: How to get free Twitch Prime Caustic skin – The most likely possibility is that whoever is riding on board this aerial vessel will be the next new Legend introduced into the battle royale. There is still no clear indication as to who the next new character will be, but there are enough leaks about that suggest Revenant and Forge are the most probable candidates. Assuming that this is the first Season 4 teaser, the cat is now out of the bag, which means players can expect more and more hints to be dropped by Respawn as we get closer to February 4. Don’t forget – while Season 3 may be on its last legs, the content-packed Grand Soirée Arcade in-game event is still underway, so be sure to log on and enjoy the plethora of new limited-time modes, cosmetic items, and more.

Mysterious QR code found in Apex Legends has players puzzled – Dexerto
Mysterious QR code found in Apex Legends has players puzzled Players have found an unexplained QR code in Apex Legends‘ new Firing Range training area, and no one seems to know what it’s for. There are a lot of reasons for why Apex Legends is one of the most popular online games today, and one of the things that developers Respawn Entertainment have done really well is keep players intrigued with the various easter eggs they’ve planted in the game. That did not change when Season 3: Meltdown launched on October 1, and even Senior Level Designer Rodney Reece himself has come out and said that there are still plenty of undiscovered secrets on the new World’s Edge map. The latest example of this is the QR code that players have noticed exists in the Firing Range area of the game – the totally revamped practice arena that was recently introduced via the v3.1 update. The code is located on the bottom base of the dummy targets that players can practice shooting at, and was brought into the spotlight via user ‘nah_ill_pass_’ on Reddit. QR codes, of course, are unique black-and-white patterns fitted into a square that mobile devices have the capability of scanning for more information or a link to a website. The problem with this specific one, however, is that no one has been able to scan it yet. At first glance, the obvious reason for this would seem to be the dirt that’s covering it in-game, however the user that found it tried editing out the stain and was still unable to get it to read. And for those wondering whether the message next to the code is important, it’s actually just a generic safety warning that the developers added to increase the authenticity of the game: “APEX TARGETS, USE RESPONSIBLY. ALWAYS USE EAR PROTECTION AND EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING GUNS.” Once this started getting attention on Reddit, one user pointed out that this wasn’t the first time that Respawn had done something involving QR codes. In fact, the previous version of the training ground, before it was revamped into the current Firing Range, also included a similar code next to an identical warning message. However, the difference with that one was that it could be scanned, and it simply provided a link to the official Apex Legends website, whereas the new code doesn’t work at all. That then begs the question of whether or not the fact that it can’t be scanned is actually an intentional move on the part of Respawn, who could be setting up these QR codes to work as possible future easter eggs, especially since we already know they’re into that kind of stuff. The other likely explanation could be that the in-game dirt particles are simply rendering the code unreadable, and once someone does find a way to scan it then they will just be led to the Apex website like the previous one.

Mysterious changes are popping up on World’s Edge in Apex Legends Season 6 – Dexerto
Mysterious changes are popping up on World’s Edge in Apex Legends Season 6 Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer ePrNLj8A] Season 6 of Apex Legends has been live for almost two weeks now and since then, players are starting to take notice of some secret and odd features within the game itself, including a strange “Knock Knock” easter egg. On August 18, 2020, Season 6 of the popular battle royale game Apex Legends started. After its launch, players were able to try out the new Legend Rampart, the new Volt submachine gun, new map updates, and more. All these features, however, were known before the season began, making their addition not surprising in the least. What is surprising, however, are the additions that were made to the game that after it launched, which some players have slowly started to notice. One such player is YouTuber The Gaming Merchant, who recently made a list of some of the strangest changes made to the game when the new season started. Easily the strangest is the fact that the words “Knock Knock” are now lightly written in the top right-hand corner of the in-game map. While The Gaming Merchant’s theory is that it could be related to a Halloween event, it’s really anyone’s best guess as to what it could be referring to. Another thing he points out are the boxes hidden around the strange boxes hidden around the map that say “Inactive” on them. Leaks have revealed that these boxes are actually gravity lifts that will essentially lift players up at some point in the future, but the “release date” of this function is unclear. One of the last major features in the video isn’t much of a feature at all. As The Gaming Merchant points out, the titles for each in-game digital comic books all talk feature a number that’s seemingly counting down from seven. For example, the first comic has the title “Rolling Sevens in Love” while the second one is titled “Six Stitches.” As he speculates, with a new comic being added every week, it could be counting down to something. That being said, like the “Knock Knock” easter egg, there’s really no telling what it means or what it could be leading to. All in all, the new secrets are fascinating and if you want more details about them, you should check out the video as it does a good job at explaining them all. Here’s hoping we find out what they all mean soon.

Multiple esports orgs keen to join Apex Legends esports, claims pro player – Dexerto
Multiple esports orgs keen to join Apex Legends esports, claims pro player Joe Brady/ ALGSApex Legends esports has seen an exodus of esports organizations in 2023. However, one pro has claimed that others are keen on joining. Apex Legends Esports has seen an exodus of esports organizations in 2023 following a dispute between ALGS teams and EA/Respawn over in-game cosmetics and revenue sharing. Big-name organizations like NRG Esports, G2 Esports, Cloud9 and Team Liquid have all exited the esport with some calling out the developers for their lack of financial support. However, one pro player, former NRG star Christopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton, has claimed that multiple orgs are looking to get into Apex Legends for the next season. Apex Legends is currently in its off-season. Multiple teams and orgs are shuffling around their roster in order to field the most competitive team possible, which would be the best time for prospective organizations to jump into the esport. New orgs might be entering Apex Legends esports “There’s actually a healthy amount of orgs, albeit none of them super big, who are interested in getting into Apex,” sweetdreams said in a recent live stream. He also said that he has personally been contacted by many orgs since NRG left the esport on September 15. The player did say that he doesn’t see himself joining any of the orgs looking to enter Apex for Year 4 of the ALGS, and that he is probably going to sign with an org already in the space. While the exit of so many high-profile organizations has been alarming for those in the industry, some organizations that are still committed to Apex Legends have voiced their support for the competition and EA. “EA is far from the worst game dev out there and they don’t deserve all the heat they are receiving in Apex atm. I would love for them to do more for orgs overall but they are honestly investing more into its esport every year,” Alliance CEO Jonathan Berg said on September 19. Fans will have to wait and see which orgs will join the Battle Royale esport, as the next season is set to start sometime this winter.

Mozambique is finally ‘viable’ after Apex Legends Season 6 changes – Dexerto
Mozambique is finally ‘viable’ after Apex Legends Season 6 changes Respawn EntertainmentThe Mozambique is Apex Legends’ notorious shotgun pistol that has long been memed on for being useless, but sentiments in Season 6 are starting to change with more people calling it viable. Almost every weapon in Apex Legends has its place; whether for long-range picks or chaotic close-quarter combat, players can generally find which gun is most suitable in different scenarios in the Arena. That wasn’t the case with the Mozambique for a long time as shots from mid-range or further took precision and prayer to connect, and at close range, with all three pellets hitting, it hardly did any noticeable damage to opponents. While the pistol might not be the first thing Legends look to collect when diving into the Arena, players are seeing how a Hopped-Up ‘Bique has become a lot stronger thanks to some of the recent patch updates. “With the new buffs and the spread being so little, the Mozambique is now a viable weapon for mid-range fights,” Reddit user ‘JDPhoenix-8632’ said. “If you break a shield, landing even just one or two pellets with Hammerpoint midrange, you can turn the fight in your favor.” The Season 6 patch upgraded the shotgun by increasing its clip size from three to four. Now, that’s not a significant change to get hyped over, but attaching a Hammerpoint to it suddenly makes ‘cracked’ opponents a juicy target to hunt. Hammerpoint Rounds makes finishing unshielded targets much easier with the huge damage buff it gives to P2020 and Mozambique pistols. But with tight bullet-spread from shotguns now allowing for reliable distance shots, chasing down weakened players with the ‘Mozamcheeks’ can secure a lot more kills. With the new buffs and the spread being so little, the Mozambique is now a viable weapon for mid-range fights. If you break a shield, landing even just one or two pellets w/hammerpoint midrange, you can turn the fight in your favor. Now get out there and disrespect your opponents! by inapexuniversity Furthermore, JDPhoenix showed how the pistol can take down a full-health opponent, though you’re gonna have to hit all four shots from mid-range or further out. The Mozambique’s respectability has been few and far between throughout Apex history, but now it seems like that story is changing as players are quickly finding how to make the shotgun pistol work to amp up its effectiveness.

Most popular Legends in Apex Legends Season 5 revealed – Dexerto
Most popular Legends in Apex Legends Season 5 revealed Respawn/EANew Apex Legends stats have revealed the most popular Legends to use in season five – and it is fair to say that Loba hasn’t quite shaken up the meta just yet. With the start of any new Apex Legends season, Respawn Entertainment has the chance to make some sweeping changes. The devs usually add a new legend as well as nerfs and buffs for the other characters that have been around for a while. Even though long time players have built up their favorite legends to use, when a new character drop, they usually see a bump in usage as everyone wants to get to grips with them. However, it appears as if Loba hasn’t yet broken through as one of the top-picked legends in-game. According to stats from DreamTeam.gg, Wraith is still the most popular legend to use in season five across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Pathfinder and Lifeline come in second and third place with 10.56% and 8.73% usage rates respectively. As for the other end of the scale, Revenant, who was introduced back in season four, ranks as the least used hero. The synthetic nightmare has a measly 2.63% usage rate – meaning it is pretty rare to see him running around either Kings Canyon or World’s Edge. Most played Legends in Apex Legends Wraith: 31.95% – Pathfinder: 10.56% – Lifeline: 8.73% – Caustic: 7.44% – Bangalore: 7.22% – Bloodhound: 6.41% – Octane: 6.40% – Mirage: 6.28% – Wattson: 5.52% – Gibraltar: 3.73% – Crypto: 2.94% – Revenant: 2.63% – Figures correct for week beginning May 18, 2020. PC only. Pathfinder has taken the biggest drop, falling from 22% before Season 5, to just 10%, because of the nerf to his grapple. Mirage meanwhile has seen a 3x increase, from under 2% to over 6% in the new Season. Where is Loba? Pick rate stats have not been provided for Loba yet, but according to stats produced by Apex Tracker, the new legend apparently fits right in with the least played characters – ranking just above Crypto in their findings at 4.2%. Despite receiving a pretty significant buff, Mirage still hasn’t broken into the most played legends. According to Apex Tracker, his 5.2% usage rate is fourth-worst, though on DreamTeam, he moves up a spot and has a 6.28% usage rate on PC. It’s still a marked improvement from where he was before though. Obviously, these rankings don’t represent the most powerful legends in-game – but purely the most popular ones up to now in season five. As ever, even if your favorite legend isn’t as popular as other if you’re comfortable with playing as them then you’re pretty much set. Unless they receive some sort of nerf in the coming weeks, that is.

Who are the most popular Apex Legends characters? – Dexerto
Who are the most popular Apex Legends characters? Apex LegendsSome characters are more popular than others in Apex Legends, and here’s a look at which characters players pick the most as well as who they pick the least. Apex Legends has gained a tremendous amount of players since its release in February and a large part of that’s due to the game’s fresh take on the genre. Respawn Entertainment introduced characters with different abilities into the mix, which helped create more of a team-oriented battle royale experience. Apex Legends currently only features a Trios playlist which means team synergy is important to have. While players can get by without having synergy and just fragging out, it definitely helps to have Legends that compliment the others in a squad. Read More: Another stuffed puppy found in Apex Legends – This means some of the characters, like Caustic, for example, is usually pretty low on a tier list since he doesn’t really bring a lot to a team outside of creating death rooms. A website by the name of Play-Apex.net tracks the most played characters and the results are pretty close to what you’d expect them to be. Wraith stands alone at the top while Octane is in second. Octane’s placement could be due to him being a new character but he’s also pretty fun to play which is why he lands where he does on the list. Who are the most popular Apex Legends characters? Here’s how the list shakes out: Wraith (18.7%) – Octane (16.8%) – Lifeline (15.1%) – Pathfinder (13.3%) – Bangalore (12.8%) – Bloodhound (7.8%) – Mirage (6.2%) – Caustic (4.9%) – Gibraltar (4.3%) – As you can see by the popularity, the weaker characters in the game find themselves towards the bottom while the stronger ones are picked more. The website tracks various other things in Apex Legends so it’s worth checking out if you want to know more about the game. It should be noted that not only is Wraith the most popular character in Apex, but she is also the one with the highest win rate at 19.8%.

Most effective way to use Wattson’s fences to win in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Most effective way to use Wattson’s fences to win in Apex Legends Wattson’s Perimeter Security fences can often have devastating consequences in the Apex Games, but combined with World’s Edge’s narrow caves players can be left with a tricky situation. Apex Legends’ diverse roster of characters grant players with a wide array of abilities to choose from. From an Interdimensional Skirmisher to an Adrenaline Junkie, players are spoilt for choice. Despite being one of the least used characters in the game, Wattson’s abilities are often overlooked and can come in handy in most endgame situations. The Static Defender’s Perimeter Security fences are often used to prompt a tactical standoff (of sorts) at the very highest level of competition. By arranging the node locations, players can create a seemingly impenetrable layer of security — giving your opponent very little wiggle room. One savvy player used this notion to their advantage, as they combined the calamitous effects of The Ring with Wattson’s fences to create a galvanic enclosure. Placed in a do-or-die situation, this player found themselves in a one-versus-three. Knowing that taking on a whole squad in combat would likely result in a loss, they used their knowledge of World’s Edge to gain the upper hand. With the enemy squad on the edge of The Ring, the player set up a series of electric fences that zig-zagged their way through the cave. After gunning down the squad’s shields with their Charge Rifle, they retreated while their fences slowed down their enemies’ movement and The Ring finished them off. After the catastrophic effects of The Ring did the hard yards, the player was rewarded for their efforts by being granted Apex Champion. While Wattson’s fences are often seen to give teams an edge over other teams, they rarely have such a devastating effect as this, which does require an element of luck with The Ring’s timing and direction of movement.

More badges are coming to Apex Legends: Wins, Damage, more – Dexerto
More badges are coming to Apex Legends: Wins, Damage, more Respawn/EARespawn Entertainment, the developers behind Apex Legends, have confirmed that they’ll be looking to expand the current badge system by adding new ones in the future. Earning a badge in Apex Legends can come from something as simple as racking up a few kills and wins, to more difficult ones like dealing 4,000 damage in a match. As Season 9 has now kicked off, some of the most dedicated Apex players have picked up pretty much every badge there is to display on their profile card, and are on their way to earning the Arenas badges. That’s led some players to call on Respawn to add even more badges for them to earn, and their calls have been heard by the devs. As the devs were discussing the new season with players over on the Apex Legends subreddit, the call for new badges was once again thrown out by a few players. Respawn’s RobotHavGunz responded, confirming changes are in the offing. “Yes. Organization – or lack thereof – was a big limiter here. Hard to add more badges when you couldn’t even sort them,” the dev said when asked why it’s been so long since some simple badges were added. In Season 9, players can now filter badges by ones they have unlocked. “With that said, we have actually expanded badges quite a bit. There’s all the Club badges. And then there are a host of new Arenas badges. But, yes, some badges like wins could probably have another tier at this point (100–>200). The organization of badges definitely means that more work in this area is very doable. There’s no shortage of work to be done or good ideas. Hardest decisions are what not to do – or what not to do now; there’s so much we want to deliver.” Comment byu/paradoxally from discussion inapexlegends Players quickly threw out suggestions for what badges they could add – including things like getting so many knocks in a certain amount of time or following the prestige model of Call of Duty where an older badge can be upgraded now that it’s been so long since it was first unlocked. Even though the devs might want to add new badges, it’ll take some time before they’re in-game. New badge designs have got to be drawn up, and they’ve got to select just what accomplishments are worthy of a badge, among other things, before they’re live in-game.

MoistCr1TiKaL “infuriated” as US visa issues force him to drop top Apex Legends roster – Dexerto
MoistCr1TiKaL “infuriated” as US visa issues force him to drop top Apex Legends roster Joe Brady/ ALGSCharlie ‘MoistCr1TiKal’ White, stream content creator and esports organization owner, has revealed he has been forced to drop the Moist Esports Apex Legends roster due to repeated U.S. visa denials so the mostly Australian lineup can compete at the 2024 ALGS Split 1 LAN. Moist Esports first encountered trouble with their visa status at the start of the season as the Australian players were denied entry into the United States to compete in the North American ALGS. Moist was the only team impacted by the country’s immigration office and was forced to play the online league from Canada. At the time, MoistCri1TiKal slammed the government and said that their immigration agent working on their claim was out of touch with gaming and didn’t understand esports. The team’s problems didn’t end there, however. The team owner revealed in a YouTube video that despite repeated attempts to get the players their papers to be in the country, and bringing in expert lawyers and executives from EA to work on their case, their paperwork has not been approved. “Even with the goddamn Avengers on our side, U.S. immigration slams the door in our face… They’re Australian gamers, we are not trying to sneak in Viltromite aliens. What is the issue,” MoistCri1TiKal said in the video. The team had so much support from EA because Moist is one of the best pro Apex Legends teams in the world, and earned one of the top seeds from North America at the ALGS Split 1 Major. However, to be able to compete at the Los Angeles tournament the players will need to be unaffiliated with Moist Esports and compete in the country on different visas. MoistCri1TiKal said his organization worked with multiple other esports orgs to help move the visa process along and said that their agent gave little feedback on why their attempts kept getting declined or how to fix their applications. The owner proposed a theory that the team was denied due to the organization’s name, and how it could have made those working at the government uncomfortable. “It might be the only reason we were rejected. At U.S. immigration it falls onto your particular agent. It is entirely their discretion whether or not you are allowed into the country with whatever you are submitting or doing… It is highly possible, and according to some lawyers, not unusual for them to decline things on very trivial reasoning,” he said. The creator also said that the agent never outright said the team name was an issue because it would be “embarrassing” to have that in writing. “The ice cream machines at McDonalds work better than the U.S. immigration process,” MoistCri1TiKal blasted. The now-former Moist players said they will be at the Los Angeles tournament in time to compete and that the organization is one of the “greatest” they have worked with.

Moist Esports sues US Immigration over Apex Legends roster Visa troubles – Dexerto
Moist Esports sues US Immigration over Apex Legends roster Visa troubles YouTube: Penguinz0Charlie, AKA MoistCr1TiKaL, has announced that he and Moist Esports are suing US Immigration over the way Visas for his Apex Legends roster were handled. MoistCr1TiKaL has been vocal in his disdain for the US Immigration office and his difficulties with getting his Moist Apex Legends roster into LA. With the ALGS Year 4 Split 1 Playoffs happening in-person, getting his team into the US was essential. He was able to skirt difficulties with US Immigration during qualifiers by bringing his players into Canada to play online, but he was eventually unable to avoid their Visa into the US being denied. In order for the team to apply for another Visa, he had to drop the roster, which comes with a whole host of issues. As a result, MoistCr1TiKaL and Moist Esports as a whole are suing the US Immigration office. “We, Moist Esports, are suing US Immigration. We talked with our lawyers, and they agreed that this is very mysterious how it ever even got to this point. It seems that there are quite a few no-nos that were committed here, and some protocol that wasn’t followed, a lot of big red flags, big problems,” Charlie claimed in his video on the topic. Additionally, though he’s used a thinly veiled “Not Moist Esports” moniker for the team, they still aren’t technically represented by him. Moist Esports lose any cut of the winnings and aren’t allowed to work with the team as they’d like, resulting in financial losses. Despite this, the team still has a ton of affection for him and Moist Esports and how they’ve helped the team despite taking financial losses to do so, as explained by Wxltzy in a post-game interview. “Just big love, man. Cannot stress enough how accommodating he has been for us. Genuinely, everyone at Moist has been a rock for us. This was a very stressful situation, and they’ve done the absolute most for us. I can’t say thank you enough.” Despite the team itself doing well at the ALGS LAN, Moist Esports isn’t likely to see direct money from that success. This whole debacle has cost the organisation a lot, according to Charlie’s claims. Though, as he’d go on to explain, it isn’t possible to claim damages within the lawsuit against US Immigration. “You know what I’ve learned through this lawsuit process? It turns out that there is corruption built into the US Constitution itself where, even if we’re successful in beating US Immigration in this lawsuit, they cannot pay us out any damages. In which there has been a lot,” MoistCr1TiKaL asserted. “This has been a super expensive process, and there’s also so much lost income here because there’s so much money on the line for the tournament, as well as so many potential eyes on our organization, as well as all of the legal fees. There’s so much money that went into this, all of which was just burned thanks to US Immigration f***ing us.” He went on to call out the way the entire office works, outright blaming the agent responsible for his players’ case for “mishandling” it and claiming he was, “stunned by how deep and rotten the system is. It is so f***ing broken. It is a joke.” Despite all this and his players having to make multiple lengthy flights through this process – leaving them “unable to practice for weeks” according to Charlie’s account – the Moist Esports squad is cleaning up house at the ALGS LAN. Though he doesn’t expect the lawsuit to do anything but overturn the initial ruling against his players, he’s going through it anyways, and has confirmed that the proceedings for this suit are already well underway.

Moist Esports Apex Legends squad joins new region for ALGS Year 4 – Dexerto
Moist Esports Apex Legends squad joins new region for ALGS Year 4 Joe Brady/ ALGSMoist Esports has announced that its Apex Legends team will move region for ALGS Year 4 after a successful 2023 season in the APAC South Pro League. Moist Esports hopped into Apex Legends competition on September 9, 2022, by signing the Australian free-agent squad Team Burger. During ALGS Year 3, Moist qualified for every Major LAN event and ran through the APAC South Pro League competition with ease. The team placed second in the first split of Pro League and then finished sixth at the Split 1 Playoffs LAN tournament. Moist followed up that performance with a first-place finish in Split 2 Pro League competition and another top-10 placement at the Split 2 Playoffs. At the 2023 ALGS Championship, Moist finished 12th and earned $30,000 in prize money from the World Championship event. Having concurred APAC South, Moist is looking for a new challenge and is joining a different region for ALGS Year 4. Moist Esports Apex Legends team switches regions Moist will now play in the North American Pro League circuit, according to a post by one of the team’s players. Moist seems to following in the footsteps of another Apex Legends powerhouse in DarkZero Esports. The former APAC team made the move to North America in 2022, and has put together a Championship winning team in the new region. Whether Moist will enjoy the same success has yet to be seen, however, it does seem like the Australian roster has outgrown the APAC region and is looking to face better regular-season competition. The team has yet to finalize its roster for ALGS Year 4 as only Matthew ‘Emtee’ Trengove and Ben ‘Wxltzy’ Walton are signed on for the 2024 season. Fans will get to see how Moist will fare in arguably the best region in Apex Legends Esports as the league starts back up on January 21, 2024.

Moist Apex team denied US visas and forced to play pro league from Canada – Dexerto
Moist Apex team denied US visas and forced to play pro league from Canada Joe Brady/ ALGSTwo Apex Legends pros on Moist Esports’ team have been denied entry into the United States and will have to start pro league playing from Canada, according to organization owner Charles ‘MoistCr1TiKaL’ White Jr. Moist Esports announced it was changing regions and keeping mostly the same roster in October 2023. The change puts the team in an incredibly competitive region and also brings the squad closer to the North American-based organization. Moist placed top 10 at the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs and top 20 at the ALGS Championship in 2023. However, the org has hit a road bump on the path toward playing in the United States, as MoistCr1TiKaL said on stream that both Matthew ‘Emtee’ Trengove and Ben ‘Wxltzy’ Walton have been denied entry into the country. Moist Esports Apex squad denied entry into US The esports organization owner, MoistCr1TiKaL, said on a YouTube live stream that the players were assigned an “out of touch” visa agent. “Our guy didn’t understand the space,” MoistCr1TiKaL said. He claimed their agent didn’t understand how people could play video games professionally, and also said he didn’t believe the players were on a top 20 team in the world. MoistCr1TiKaL said they submitted their placement, along with an explanation that Apex is an esports game and has a circuit. The agent still denied the claim. “You can literally Google it. It takes two seconds to look at Moist Esports’ like global Apex rankings and our finishes in the Majors and the World Championship,” he said. The owner said that his players will now be playing in the online league from Canada and that he will have to figure out accommodations for the squad. The organization will be re-applying for visas, however, the process will take longer than two weeks, which is about when the league kicks off.

Mirage’s Heirloom has awesome secret animation in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Mirage’s Heirloom has awesome secret animation in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cf8U9voE]Players have discovered a clever and somewhat hidden animation for Mirage’s Heirloom weapon in Apex Legends that’s absolutely perfect for the Holographic Trickster. Mirage is a man of many talents: He’s arguably the most cocky/confident legend in Apex, being able to bamboozle other players with his confusing abilities and is apparently a decent chef, to boot. To honor his culinary skills, Respawn has apparently included a rare animation when using his new Heirloom weapon that smacks enemies with an actual pork chop. The easter egg animation was discovered by an Apex fan on Twitter, who decided to play around with Mirage’s new Heirloom in the practice range. While testing how the hilarious golden statue would work in combat, Kareem Fakher stumbled upon what could be the greatest animation we’ve ever seen in Apex Legends – and one, of if not the best, uses of a pork chop ever in a video game. https://twitter.com/Kareem_Fakher/status/1275495337969451018?s=20 Apart from being absolutely hilarious and fitting with Mirage’s character perfectly, it’s also probably the most disrespectful way to take down an opponent. Just imagine the shame you would feel if, in a game featuring robots, high-powered sniper rifles and literal laser cannons, you actually meet your end at the hands of some delicious grilled meat. Mirage’s legendary pork chops have been a meme in the Apex community for a while now, with fans even attempting to recreate the recipe themselves, with mixed results. Respawn has hyped Mirage’s brand-new toy as “free,” like they do for all Heirlooms, but any fan of the battle royale knows that’s not the whole truth. To unlock the new cosmetic, Apex players will have to collect 24 exclusive Lost Treasure items that can be found in packs, through direct purchase, or made through the Apex Legend’s crafting system. So if you have enough time, or extra cash laying around, you too can unlock Mirage’s new Heirloom and experience the power of the pork chop for yourself.

Mirage Voyage returns to every map in Apex Legends for Season 16 – Dexerto
Mirage Voyage returns to every map in Apex Legends for Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentMirage Voyage has been revamped, renamed, and will return to Apex Legends in Season 16 with a new name. Here’s everything you need to know about the POI. Mirage Voyage quickly became popular among the Apex community when it was launched way back in 2019. The last time it appeared in the game was in 2021, after which the devs said that the point of interest won’t be returning anytime soon. Now that Apex has turned four, Mirage Voyage is returning to the game with a new name and some subtle changes. It’s going to be present for a limited time and here’s everything you need to know about Mirage Voyage. Mirage Voyage is now called “Mirage à trois” The popular POI, Mirage Voyage, now has a new name called “Mirage A’trois”. It has been revamped and is now an “interactive loot party.” It includes a new dance floor this time. Mirage A’trois will be present on all of the BR maps for the entirety of Season 16. We will get to see the changes as the new season drops. However, judging by the new name, the vibes may match the boxing ring POI from the Olympus map. While the fan-favorite POI makes its return to the game, there won’t be any new legends this season. This is because Apex Legends Season 16 brings a new Legend class system and a whole host of perks. Apart from that, new “orientation” matches will also be brought in, allowing brand-new players to get used to the basics quite easily. Apex Legends Season 16 goes live on Valentine’s day, i.e, Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Mirage Town Takeover location revealed for Apex Legends Christmas event – Dexerto
Mirage Town Takeover location revealed for Apex Legends Christmas event The location of Mirage’s in-game takeover town as part of Apex Legends’ upcoming Holo-Day Christmas event has been revealed, according to leaks from iLootGames that show an updated mini-map of Season 3’s World’s Edge. Apex has only had a few in-game events based around Wraith and the original takeover with Octane, but it seems as Respawn settles into their rhythm with the battle royale, they’re aiming to rival Fortnite for more seasonal expansions and crossovers in the world of their futuristic battle royale. While many suspected that the leaked Mirage-led event was originally going to be based around the redecorated train, and tied into the ‘Capture the Train’ limited-time mode that was teased on November 17, these new leaks suggest otherwise. Instead, it looks like the Town Takeover itself will be happening on the western side of World’s Edge, according to iLootGames’ leaked image of a new mini-map, in a previously unnamed location above Thermal Station and below Lava Fissure. Hey, just wanted to keep the hype going for this new Christmas event for you guys! Here is a look at the new minimap showing where the Mirage Town Event will take place 🙂 Enjoy guys, much more to come! pic.twitter.com/Thonj6zaKw— iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) December 6, 2019 In the same vein as the gap in the north of the map that doesn’t have notably features, and the gap between Capitol City and Drill Site, this cluster of buildings near Thermal Station was widely regarded as “wasted space” on World’s Edge. To add to confirmation that this will be the spot Mirage drops his Town Takeover, Reddit user ‘PVPxOfficial’ shared a screenshot of their gameplay post-update, which showed construction poles in the same location. The last time these poles appeared was before major changes to King’s Canyon in Season 2. Read more: How to find Apex’s new Star Wars easter egg – Unlike some Fortnite Town Takeover’s, which see places like Risky Reels demolished and turned into new battlegrounds, it looks like Respawn would rather add to the already existing roster of areas that players will be eager to loot and fight in. What is Mirage’s Winter Express LTM? While the Holographic Trickster will be making his mark during the festive season on a new place on the map with his Town Takeover, he will also be bringing players a Christmas-themed limited-time mode, titled ‘Winter Express.’ According to leaks from prominent data miner ‘That1MiningGuy,’ Mirage is going to get on the intercoms to describe the rules for the king-of-the-hill mode aboard the “Winter Express,” which will see the map’s iconic train covered in tinsel and wreaths. “That’s my gift to you! And it’s cool you didn’t get me anything. Really,” Mirage says in the leaked announcement, a nod to gift exchanges at Christmas time. Apparently, Winter Express will see teams gunning to claim three rounds to win a match, and will be based more around loadout combat with players choosing weapons, rather than the regular running-and-looting style of Apex. The datamined rules also reveal “loot doesn’t spawn in this mode,” so players will have to rely on one of the loadouts the LTM offers, and that dying isn’t forever in this mode, meaning players who perish “will respawn… next round.” A Christmas sack filled with Holo-Day Bash cosmetics As well as the Town Takeover, and Mirage’s Winter Express LTM, leaks have revealed a number of Christmas-themed cosmetic costumes that players will be able to grab for legends like Octane, Caustic, Crypto, and of course Mirage. Alongside skins, the event has also been confirmed to be bringing weapon skins, new gun baubles, and even a Pathfinder Heirloom skin complete with a pair of bright red boxing gloves. All these items will be available through loot crates. Wattson, Pathfinder, and Bangalore were all also included in various images that leaked their Christmas gear, meaning at least seven of the game’s core roster will be donning red, white, and green when the Holo-Day Bash event finally drops. So when are the Takeover, LTM, and event releasing? Despite nearly all the details of the Christmas-theme event now leaked, we still aren’t 100% sure when the Holo-Day Bash celebrations will officially begin. Considering Christmas is now just 19 days away, there’s a fairly good chance we’ll see the event released soon, with some leakers even theorizing that it will launch at the same time as Pathfinder’s Heirloom set, which is predicted for December 15. In any case, we know that the event is just around the corner, filled to the brim with new game modes, stylish festive outfits, and a new change to the World’s Edge map players have settled in to—it already feels like Christmas has come early.

Mirage-themed ‘Winter Express’ Train LTM leaked in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Mirage-themed ‘Winter Express’ Train LTM leaked in Apex Legends New Apex Legends leaks point to an upcoming LTM centered around Mirage for the winter season, according to prominent data miner ‘That1MiningGuy.’ So far Town Takeovers have centered around Octane’s adrenaline-fueled antics as well as Wraith’s troubled inter-dimensional past. Meanwhile, the Halloween LTM focused on Pathfinder’s chilling encounter with Revenant. In the short life of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, the devs have shown that they want to directly integrate their roster of Legends with the various in-game events and LTMs coming to Apex. For weeks there’s been rumblings about a possible new Town Takeover or a Limited Timed Mode but without a clear indication of who it could be linked too. But a new batch of leaks from the dataminer all but confirms that Respawn are at least planning to make the winter LTM centered around Mirage: “Yep – called Winter Express and it’s Mirage related.” Appended was an image of an announcement that players will hear, if the leaks come to fruition. By the looks of it, Mirage is going to get on the intercoms to describe the rules for the king-of-the hill mode aboard the “Winter Express.” Yep – called Winter Express and it’s Mirage related. ? pic.twitter.com/1844AgbM8G — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) December 3, 2019 In another find, That1MiningGuy found a more detailed form of the rules for the Winter Express LTM. The rules indicate that a team will need to claim three rounds to win the match. Additionally, it looks like players will choose a loadout before going into the match instead of looting like normal in other Apex Legends modes. In fact, the rules also reveal that “loot doesn’t spawn in this mode” so players will have to rely on one of the loadouts that the LTM offers. Dying isn’t forever in this match, as players who perish in one round “will respawn before the next round.” “PL_WINTER_EXPRESS_RULES_LONG” “First squad to win 3 rounds wins the match. Pick a loadout. Loot doesn’t spawn in this mode. If you die, you will respawn before the next round” — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) December 3, 2019 It’s likely that the devs have other in-game events planned for the holiday festivities since voice lines in the leak suggest that there could be some Christmas ties to the upcoming seasonal update. “That’s my gift to you! And it’s cool you didn’t get me anything. Really,” Mirage says in the leaked announcement, a nod to gift exchanges at Christmastime. In either case, it seems like Apex Legends players will soon get a new LTM to load into, which will spotlight the Holographic Trickster.

Mirage rework finally released in Apex Legends Season 5 – Dexerto
Mirage rework finally released in Apex Legends Season 5 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 5 has launched, and with it comes the long-awaited Mirage rework. The new buffs include more invisibility, a longer Psyche Out ability, and a new ultimate inspired by Season 3’s Dummies Big Day LTM. Mirage has long been relegated to Apex’s bottom tiers. Originally locked behind a small paywall when Respawn’s battle royale burst onto the scene in February last year, the Holographic Trickster has struggled to find his place in Kings Canyon. The main issue was that it’s hard to fool other players — disappearing is all well and good, but when cloned copies of Mirage blatantly look like AI characters marching across the map like robots, there’s not much room for bamboozling opponents. Mirage to “get better at bamboozling” with rework Respawn said it hopes the new rework — which Dexerto revealed was in the pipeline on April 9 — will finally allow players “avenues to get better at bamboozling people.” This has come in the form of more invisibility and a reworked decoy. The biggest switch-up comes for Mirage’s Psyche Out tactical ability. The cloning part of the ability now mimics every move the Holographic Trickster makes, in a bid to make the copied versions of the player “seem more life-like.” The launch-legend’s show-stopping ultimate, Life of the Party, has also been boosted by this Season 5 change. Mirage’s top-level move works similarly to Psyche Out, but sends forth a half-dozen team of copied Elliott Witts instead. Finally, Respawn has added a healthy scooping of invisibility for the fast-talking Legend as well. He now disappears from sight when using respawn beacons, and reviving teammates — a bonus that applies to the downed ally too. The devs explained that they were looking to finally add “more depth to Mirage gameplay” with these changes. While it’s not clear how strong the Holographic Trickster will be in Season 5 now, they’re certainly some welcome buffs. Here’s the full list of updates for Mirage’s abilities, including cooldowns and more: Passive: Now You See Me… Mirage now cloaks while using a respawn beacon and reviving a teammate (the teammate is also cloaked), in addition to cloaking when downed. – Mirage’s “You got Bamboozled” line will now trigger when you bamboozle an enemy, instead of when you release a decoy. – Tactical: Psyche Out Pressing the character utility action button allows Mirage to gain control of his decoy. – When controlling the decoy, it will mimic Mirage’s every move. – Decoys now last for 60 seconds. – Releasing another decoy will remove the previous decoy. – Ultimate: Life of the Party Mirage deploys a team of decoys that mimic his every move (think “Emergency Dance Party” from DUMMIEs Big Day). – Cooldown 60 seconds. –

Mirage players frustrated as Vantage makes him “useless” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Mirage players frustrated as Vantage makes him “useless” in Apex Legends Respawn/EAMirage mains have been left frustrated by Apex Legends’ newest legend, Vantage, as the Survivalist Sniper can easily identify the real Mirage amongst all the decoys. While he hasn’t been the strongest legend for quite some time, Mirage has remained a popular pick in Apex Legends thanks to his quirky humor and bamboozling abilities. When his decoys are deployed, Mirage mains can make a quick escape from a gunfight or reposition to surprise an enemy squad. Though, there are a few tricks that other legends have to help save a bit of time in identifying which Mirage is the real one amongst all the fakes. Some of these tricks are a bit more powerful than others, however, it seems Vantage – the new legend which has been released in Season 14: Hunted – has a bit of a leg up on everyone else, and Mirage mains aren’t too pleased by it. Mirage made “useless” by Vantage abilities in Apex Legends The annoyance was highlighted by Redditor PRIYANSHUC15, who showed that both Vantage’s Spotter’s Lens and Sniper’s Mark abilities will quickly identify the real Mirage and not highlight any of the decoys. “Mirage’s abilities are useless against Vantage,” the annoyed fan said, with many others chiming in and agreeing with their assessment. “As a Mirage main we’re very used to getting shafted to high hell every season so this is nothing new,” said one. “Poor Mirage, getting nerfed even when the devs arent trying,” added another. “I have a feeling it’ll get changed, not because vantage is OP, but just to make sure mirage isn’t even weaker than he already is,” commented another. Some players suggested that it was a bug and that they’ve scanned Mirage decoys when playing as Vantage. Others argued, though, that it idenitfies the decoys as fake and “nerfs” Mirage “even more” anyway. Seeing as Mirage was buffed to avoid other scan abilities, it remains to be seen if Respawn will dip back into their bag and change things around again. So, we’ll have to keep an eye on things.

Mirage mains are losing it over Mad Maggie’s Apex Legends ability – Dexerto
Mirage mains are losing it over Mad Maggie’s Apex Legends ability Respawn EntertainmentMad Maggie is kicking Apex Legends’ door down in Season 12 and Mirage mains are losing composure after seeing her full kit in action for the first time. The Apex formula is a familiar one by now: with each new season comes a brand spanking new Legend to match. In the game’s 12th season, Defiance, that role is being filled by Margaret Kōhere, a.k.a. Mad Maggie. While another Legend is always welcome to help shake the game up a bit, the Rebel Warlord has Mirage mains registering a big complaint about the usefulness of their favorite character. Mirage players claim Mad Maggie will directly counter them The fear that Mirage players have about Maggie is that her passive ability, Warlord’s Ire, will completely disrupt Mirage’s cloning feature. This latent feature allows Maggie to track enemies that she has damaged, even after they’ve disappeared behind cover. This means that if Mirage was to get hit before activating his ult, the opposing Mags would be able to pick the real trickster out of the crowd with no problem. After seeing the passive at work for the first time, one user deftly summarized the community reaction by asking the hard questions: “Man I just realized we’re getting another counter. Will Mirage mains ever catch a W?” To drive the nail home even harder, the original poster added that this fear comes from the fact that most of the newest additions to the game have come with a similar feature: “3/4 legends getting a scan/highlight passive is an annoying trend.” Another player suggested that Respawn could maybe solve this problem by having Mirage’s ult act as a reset for scans of all kinds. “Honestly, I don’t know why he doesn’t scramble scans already. It [would] probably only take a slight mod to his holo tech, and boom, he’s now a hell of a lot stronger against wallhack legends and actually has a place in the meta.” Respawn was previously adamant that Mirage was in a healthy spot in the game back in Season 9, but we’ll have to wait and see if two full seasons full of scanning legends has finally moved the needle enough for a change to be warranted.

Mirage Heirloom set revealed for Apex Legends Lost Treasures event – Dexerto
Mirage Heirloom set revealed for Apex Legends Lost Treasures event Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has finally revealed the new Mirage Heirloom — a hilarious golden statue of the Holographic Trickster himself — which is set to drop in Apex Legends Season 5 as part of the new Lost Treasures Collection Event. Heirlooms are widely regarded as the rarest cosmetic items in Apex Legends. The in-game items are very difficult to unlock, and often come slapped with a fairly hefty price. There are also only a few in the battle royale so far. On June 23, alongside the launch of Apex’s Lost Treasures Collection Event, smooth-talking larrikin Mirage will be the next to get his own premier melee item. Fittingly, the self-centered Legend’s Heirloom will be a golden statue of himself. Respawn gave us our first proper look at the new heirloom in June 18’s Lost Treasures reveal trailer. Mirage could be seen wielding the rare cosmetic against an enemy Revenant before declaring he “doesn’t need guns” anymore. As has been the case with other Apex Legends Heirlooms in the past, Mirage’s rare cosmetic will come with three items in its set. As well as the hilarious statue, the set will also include a banner pose and an intro quip. How to get “free” Mirage Heirloom Respawn has dubbed Mirage’s brand-new toy “free,” as they do for all Heirlooms, but any fan of the battle royale knows that’s not entirely true. To unlock the new cosmetic, Apex players will be tasked with collecting Lost Treasure items. Once the new collection event goes live, there will be 24-event exclusive items available from packs, direct purchase, or through the Apex Legends crafting system. Once you’ve unlocked all 24, Mirage’s Heirloom is automatically added to your inventory, ready to be equipped. There is another way to get the Heirloom that requires a little less grind, hopefully. Once the Lost Treasures event comes to an end, the Mirage Heirloom will be cycled into regular Apex packs. There’s still a bit of luck involved there though! The new Mirage Heirloom was far from the only new feature announced for Apex Legends in the huge EA Play livestream. The battle royale is set to enable cross-play in 2020, as reported by Dexerto before the stream. Apex is also finally set to switch to Steam later this year too. In the near future, the Apex Legends Lost Treasures event is the biggest thing for fans, however. The event will debut Crypto’s Town Takeover. It will also see the return of the “Armed and Dangerous” LTM, and much more from June 23.

Mirage is getting some “scary” buffs in Apex Legends Season 7 update – Dexerto
Mirage is getting some “scary” buffs in Apex Legends Season 7 update Respawn EntertainmentMirage will be getting even more Apex Legends buffs when the Season 7 update finally rolls around, Respawn has confirmed, after the Holographic Trickster’s rework in Season 5 didn’t work as well as the devs were hoping. [jwplayer rSmq5Fo4] The Holographic Trickster has had a rough ride of it since debuting in Apex Legends all the way back in the battle royale’s surprise launch. The main issue Mirage has faced is his “gotcha!” tactics only work on those who are not prepared. Once Apex Legends players became used to the trickster’s fake holograms he took a steep dip in overall win rate. His play rates soon followed too. Respawn tried to help, shipping a rework in Season 5, but he still floundered. The issue has gotten so bad for Mirage that the developers are taking another look at the way his ultimate works, just two seasons after patch 5.0 shipped live. Luckily, they think they have a way of pumping some power into his ability kit. Apex Legends developer Daniel Klein was questioned on Mirage buffs — which Respawn has been teasing for a long while now — and confirmed they were indeed “on their way” in patch 7.0.0. The Respawn developer said he didn’t want to “spoil stuff,” including the Mirage changes, but did touch on some of the testing they’d done for the Apex Legends trickster. These included new buffs for his ultimate, ‘Life of the Party.’ One fan suggested Mirage’s ult could “fire blanks,” but Klein shot down that idea straight away. “Decoys firing blanks is a nuclear option,” the Respawn designer said. “I have no doubt it would be effective, and powerful. The amount of damage it would do to combat readability and just sheer confusion, scares me. I’m trying something different for 7.0 — [still scary], but not as bad as decoys firing blanks.” These Mirage changes won’t be included in this week’s Halloween update, unfortunately. Instead, they will be added to the battle royale when patch 7.0 ships live in November. Good news though — the Season 7 update is actually coming a week sooner than Apex Legends fans were expecting. Respawn appears to have moved the release forward a week, up to November 4, and cut the Season 6 Battle Pass short. That means it’s only a 14 day wait, from time of publication of course, until Mirage mains will get their hands on the “scary” new buffs for Apex Legends’ trickster.

Mesmerizing Apex Legends glitch traps players in an endless rainbow – Dexerto
Mesmerizing Apex Legends glitch traps players in an endless rainbow One of the most ridiculous bugs in the history of Apex Legends left everyone free-falling through a neverending rainbow. There’s never any shortage of quirky and amusing bugs coming from Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale, however this insane glitch might be the most outlandish to date. From an odd Wingman oversight to an outright game-breaking bug caused by a Black Friday skin, typically Apex issues impact individual players. This recent glitch took things to an entirely new level however as everyone in the lobby was impacted by the hilarious spectacle. Showcased through a December 8 post from Reddit user ‘HaveSomeOatmeal,’ a ridiculous bug left each and every player in a match floating through an endless stream of rainbow-esque visuals. “A beautiful aerial ballet of death” is how the theatrics were described as dozens of players circled in the sky and left behind jets of various vibrant colors. With textures overlaying one another and repeating constantly, the visual bug was truly unrelenting and only ceased to occur once the squad had been eliminated from the rainbow-fuelled drug trip. At times, certain parts of a properly textured map came into focus however it soon dissipated with each rotation. Eventually the map began to shrink and it became nearly impossible for the floating players to navigate inside of the safe cylinder. No real victor can stand out from the pack after a match like this but perhaps every player who experienced the visual bug is a winner. They all experienced one of the most amusing glitches to date and certainly won’t forget the bizarre rainbow free-fall anytime soon. There’s no telling quite how this unique accident came to be but it seems as though players had no say in the matter. Jumping out of the dropship is how every game starts, meaning the odds of replicating the hilarious glitch are slim to none. “This is what Octane sees after he uses 73 stims” Reddit user ‘Orangestshark’ joked in response to the wild glitch. There’s no denying that the popular battle royale title often provides some laughable moments but this absurd glitch gives even Rainbow Road a run for its money. While a number of bugs have stemmed from the dropship recently, it’ll be fascinating to see if anything can top the ridiculousness of this spectacle.

Mendo suggests all of the ways that Respawn can “fix” Apex Legends – Dexerto
Mendo suggests all of the ways that Respawn can “fix” Apex Legends Jung Park – ArtStationFormer Overwatch pro Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson, one of the biggest names in the Apex Legends community, has suggested what Respawn Entertainment can do to “fix” their game. There’s no hiding the fact that the popularity of Apex Legends has noticeably plateaued since the explosive success the game initially experienced when it was first released. Things have gotten to the point where expert financial analysts are calling the game “wildly overrated” and “fading fast,” just months after many were titling the game as the first ever true rival to Fortnite Battle Royale. Mendo’s list of suggestions to Respawn In an effort to help the developers at Respawn improve Apex Legends to the point where it’s back in the players’ good graces, Mendo has offered a list of suggestions that could go towards “fixing” the game. Mendo, of course, is a world-record holder in Apex and considered to be one of the best players in the world, so there’s no doubt he definitely knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the battle royale title. Apex needs a ranked mode, and fast Mendo starts things off by imploring Respawn to “rush” and put out a “semi-functional” ranked mode that will at least keep players engaged in terms of both playing and watching. He mentions that an MMR based matchmaking system is not needed, and that a simply separate ranked queue along with leaderboards, reward ranks, and a top-500 style list should be enough for now. Solos and Duos are a must When Apex Legends was first released, many were perplexed that the default mode required teams of three. Mendo, along with almost everyone in the community, wants to see Solos and Duos playlists be added to the game to make the game flexible and give players new options. Balancing patches and new content The lack of new content has been one of the major points of criticism that Respawn have been hit with, and Mendo suggests that whatever they do plan on releasing, they should be transparent about in announcing it beforehand. One type of content he proposed was separate new game modes for certain parts of the map, such as a “Skull Town only” mode where players play a deathmatch-style game limited to the confines of Skull Town. As for balancing updates, Mendo pleads for the devs to listen to the competitive community and not just go off of statistics when considering what kinds of tuning adjustments they should make to weapons and Legends. Changes to Pathfinder and Gibraltar Regarding Pathfinder’s hitboxes, which continue to be a major issue in Apex Legends, Mendo suggests that making them bigger would help balance things out, and if it ends up making the Legend less viable, so be it. As for Gibraltar, he recommends the new and interest ideas be applied to the Legend to make it more usable, not just the generic 10% damage reduction that was given to it in a recent update. Think in the positive, not in the negative Mendo rounded off his list of suggestions by imploring Respawn to think in the positive, as in adding things to the game rather than removing them. One example of this is when dealing with aspects that may be considered overpowered, the devs should look to buff or add to other things to make them match up better rather than nerfing what people are complaining about. Mendo’s full list of suggestions can be found in a massive thread of tweets on his Twitter page, starting with the one below: How to fix Apex: RUSH to put out a semi-functional ranked mode. A ranked mode will keep a lot of players playing the game until actual content is released.People want tons of content and i doubt Respawn has it ready, a ranked will make sure people don’t quit when waiting — fast mendo (@Mendo) April 24, 2019 Will Respawn listen? While all of things that Mendo has proposed do make sense in terms of helping improve Apex Legends, the main question remains on whether Respawn is willing to apply those suggestions to their development scheme. So far, the developers have not really met the standards imposed on them by the players, and it remains unclear if they can step up enough to satisfy those that remain disappointed.

Melee attack faster in Apex Legends with kick and punch combo – Dexerto
Melee attack faster in Apex Legends with kick and punch combo Apex LegendsA brand new Apex Legends technique increases your melee attack speed, improving your chances in hand-to-hand combat with enemy players. Over 50 million people have dropped into Kings Canyon since the game’s release on February 4, changing their weapon load outs based on the title’s ever-changing meta as the popular battle royale title continues to evolve. Melee attacks, however, may not be the most dangerous form of offense in Apex Legends, but a new technique will certainly make it viable moving forward – especially when players find themselves lacking ammo or equipment in the early game. To use the new method, players must jump and melee at the same time. After connecting with the first hit onto an enemy, pressing V, Q, and the middle mouse buttons together after that first hit will increase the speed of the attack – for PC players. Maintaining the increased attack speed means continuing to press V, Q and the middle mouse buttons together. While doing this will increase the speed of punches, it’s most effective when jump kicking as those attacks are faster – and will receive a further boost with the new technique. Jumping while melee attacking also helps as players are able to lock on to enemies during attacks, helping players get a good understanding of their positioning. While punches and kicks are already pretty quick to dish out, players are certain to be bamboozled by the speed in which they can be thrown with this new method. How long the new technique sticks around remains to be seen as Respawn could quite easily launch a counter-punch of their own by patching the speed of melee attacks in a bid to nerf the new technique if it becomes a bit too much for players.

Master Mirage’s tactical in Apex Legends with this simple trick – Dexerto
Master Mirage’s tactical in Apex Legends with this simple trick amassed over 25 million players – all looking to be crowned an Apex Champion, at least once. Despite the huge player base, fans are still finding little tips and tricks that can help in their quest for victory. Players have been searching for plenty of different ways to negate the Caustic legend – and they just may have found another using Mirage. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user nauee explained just how Mirage’s decoy tactical ability can be used as a scouting tool. When playing as Mirage, players can send the decoy towards a Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap and once the decoy takes damage, the location of the opponent will be revealed. However, the reveal of the Caustic’s location is not limited to a certain distance – meaning that the enemy could be hundreds of meters away and their position would still be known. Nauee added that the tip can also be used in a similar fashion with Bangalore’s ‘Rolling Thunder’ airstrike and Thermite grenades. The trick is just another way to work around the powerful Caustic. Players have done their best to find ways of nerfing the character’s ability to defeat them in-game – including discovering how to counter the powerful gas trap before it is set off. On the flip side, it adds a new dimension to Mirage and Mirage mains won’t have any issues with that.

Major Apex Legends leak appears to reveal next seven Legends – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends leak appears to reveal next seven Legends Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer rSmq5Fo4] The next seven characters in Apex Legends have reportedly leaked, with notable names recently tied to the battle royale’s lore like Blisk and Ash set to be in the playable lineup. If Respawn holds to their schedule of releasing one Legend per era, that means the new characters up to Season 13 have potentially been revealed along with their classes. Blisk, Ash, and others called Horizon, Fuse, and Husaria will be Offensive characters. The other two will be Legends that specialize in Recon abilities, and there were no planned releases for Defensive or Support categories. According to the leak, the position after Rampart is occupied by someone named Valk. Details on Valk had previously been leaked, giving people a look at everything from proposed Tactical, Passive, and Ultimate abilities. The new information suggests that Titanfall 2’s Blisk and Ash will be released after Valk in Seasons 8 and 9, respectively. The leaked Apex Legends characters Valk – Offensive – Blisk – Recon – Ash – Offensive – Horizon – Offensive – Fuse – Offensive – Firebug – Recon – Husaria – Offensive – (The list corresponds to how they appear in the leaked in-game shot of the Apex Legends character select order.) All-in-all, this stage of Apex’s development paints a good picture of how the 21 characters will look when they become available in years to come. Previously, Horizon was believed to be linked with Valk or another leaked character called ‘Nova.’ The image shows Horizon and Valk with their own distinct placeholders, suggesting those two names could be under separate developments. The image above, which shows the cast of characters more clearly, also includes part of Loba, and despite that she’s mostly cut off, there’s apparently enough there to excite fans even further. The outfit skin she’s wearing is believed to be for the previously-leaked Aftermarket Event. The Loba skin was tied to the unannounced event in previously datamined information, before now appearing next to this expanded roster. As for the authenticity of all this, it’s always important to take this sort of information with a grain of salt, seeing as how it’s not official until confirmed. That said, the images are from the actual game itself, so the likelihood of them being real is high. As with all leaks, especially ones that deal with long-term plans like Season 13 content, anything could change at the drop of a hat within Respawn, if it already hasn’t.

Massive Apex Legends leak reveals 5 unreleased weapons: AR, pistol, SMG, more – Dexerto
Massive Apex Legends leak reveals 5 unreleased weapons: AR, pistol, SMG, more Respawn EntertainmentIn a wave of Apex Legends leaks that have surfaced online, a set of unreleased weapons have been shown off from insider footage, including new footage of what is believed to be the Nemesis AR, Fanatic pistol, and more. As with any insider leak, the game footage is clearly still in the development stage, with various placeholders and other indications these weapons are not the finished product. The leak also included unreleased Legends. Given that Apex typically only releases new weapons once a season, or even once every other season, it’s likely that these weapons still have a lot of time in the development pipeline before they are ready for release. Still, in what is possibly the biggest leak of future Apex content yet, video footage of these weapons in action has been posted to Reddit, by a throwaway account. Unreleased weapons leaked for Apex Legends In total, there are five new firearms revealed in the leaked footage. The video starts with the “Scorpion C80“, which appears to rapidly fire Arrows. This is followed by the Maelstrom, which is using the Devotion model in the footage. The leak then shows the Nemesis Energy AR, which has already been leaked by Apex themselves, and so appears the furthest along in development. Then there is the Fanatic pistols, shown akimbo in the leak, which was also previously leaked. Finally, there is the Gemini, which appears to be a new SMG, using the R-99 model in the leak. The leaker has deliberately kept themselves anonymous, originally posting the leaked footage with a ‘throwaway’ Reddit account. Despite the footage displaying a KralRindo watermark, this particular leaker has denied any involvement in the content and believes the real leaker is effectively framing them for it. While it’s all a bit messy, it’s clear that a lot of early content has been revealed well ahead of Respawn’s schedule, which will be concerning for the studio. Also included in the leak were the names and abilities of numerous unreleased Legends, as well as new modes they are supposedly working on and various skins.

Massive Apex Legends hack explained: ALGS impact, culprit, more – Dexerto
Massive Apex Legends hack explained: ALGS impact, culprit, more Joe Brady/ ALGSA massive hack in the middle of an ALGS match has thrown the Apex Legends community for a loop, so here is an explainer of what went down. The Apex Legends community was rocked by a massive hack that went down on March 17 after several ALGS players were given cheats against their will in the middle of the NA Pro League Split Finals. The last day of the tournament was meant to determine the 12 teams from NA that would be going to ALGS’ Split 1 Playoffs to represent the region in May. However, that has all been postponed after the security breaches. With two players from major teams getting hacked while live on stream, a hacker that has stamped the hack with their name, and an unknown date as for when the NA Pro League Split will conclude, there’s a great deal to unravel. Contents: Who were the ALGS players hacked? – Should you uninstall Apex Legends? – Who is Apex Legends hacker Destroyer2009? – When will ALGS NA Finals resume? – Who were the ALGS players hacked? Both TSM’s Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen and DarkZero’s Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose were the targets of the hacks. ImperialHal is arguably the face of Apex Legends, and Genburten is part of the championship-winning DarkZero squad with Zer0 and multiple Split Playoffs trophies on his belt. Both players were hacked in Game Four. The first was Genburten in the middle of the round when he suddenly found himself with the ability to see through walls. A UI interface called “TSM HALAL HOOK” appeared on Genburten’s screen, which purportedly also gave him an aimbot. Despite his IGL Zer0 asking him if he could still play, Genburten put up his hands at his inability to control it and subsequently exited the server while the rest were fighting. After the game had been reset, it was ImperialHal who would be affected next. Hal noticed he had been given aim hacks as TSM were about to engage in a fight, as he found his aim suspiciously snappy. A slowed-down analysis of the footage will see that when Hal shot a few bullets at his intended target, several other bullets also hit another player in his line of sight. Despite Hal’s teammates telling him to exit the server, Hal attempted to play on despite the hacks, choosing not to shoot at players instead. However, the lobby was quickly shut down by the admins. After the incident went down and the Finals were postponed, ImperialHal and teammate Verhulst were given bans on their accounts after trying to queue a game of ranked. Should you uninstall Apex Legends after March 17 hack? Following the hacks, there were frantic discussions on whether pros and the general player base were safe from the hacks as seeing a pro lobby be breached to this extent is unheard of. There are theories as to how the hacker, Destroyer2009, breached into the game. According to Twitter user Anti-cheat Police Department, they claimed to have messaged the hacker themselves who then alleged they were using an RCE exploit. Essentially, it’s a supposed breach into Easy Anti-Cheat, an anti-cheat software used by dozens of games from Apex Legends to Fortnite. However, EAC denied that the fault does not lie in their anti-cheat, with Epic Games’ studios also confirming as such. Destroyer2009 did not reveal how he pulled off the hacks. Days following the hacks on March 20, Respawn addressed the players’ security concerns and announced a rollout of a suite of new security measures. Yes, it is safe to play Apex Legends now. Who is Apex Legends hacker Destroyer2009? When Genburten was hacked, his account automatically messaged the lobby, “Apex hacking global series by Destroyer2009 & R4ndom.” It’s unknown who R4ndom is, however, Destroyer2009 has become one of the most infamous hackers in Apex Legends in recent months. He recently made headlines for targeting players like ImperialHal, HisWattson, and streamer Mande with an army of bots in their ranked games. One of the more confusing and potentially nefarious acts Destroyer2009 has done is gift Mande 4000 packs for free. In a interview with TechCrunch, Destroyer2009 revealed that he was in part doing it “just for fun” but also with the goal of forcing Apex Legends’ devs to fix the vulnerability he exploited. When will ALGS NA Finals resume? Roughly 15 minutes after the ALGS admins shut down the server, it was announced on the Apex Legends Esports Twitter account and live on broadcast that the Finals would be postponed. “Due to the competitive integrity of this series being compromised, we have made the decision to postpone the NA finals at this time. We will share more information soon.” The ALGS NA Regional Final would go on to be completed on March 25, however, in total secret. The final day of the competition was not broadcast live, with viewers only finding out the final results at the end of the day through players’ tweets. A pre-recording of the Final day was broadcast live the next day for viewers to see how the Finals played out.

Mande worried akimbo pistols in Apex Legends will be “OP as f**k” – Dexerto
Mande worried akimbo pistols in Apex Legends will be “OP as f**k” Respawn EntertainmentFormer Apex Legends pro Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek is worried that one of Season 22’s biggest change, the akimbo pistols, is going to be slightly “OP” when it gets added. Over the last few years, there have been plenty of leaks regarding weapons for Apex Legends. These leaks have varied from new weapons to new weapon abilities, including being able to dual-wield different guns. Well, when Season 22 rolls around, that leak will finally be a reality. Alongside the big aim assist changes – which will see controller uses on PC brought down a little bit – players will also be able to dual-wield the P2020 and Mozambique. That change has already got many players intrigued, especially as the Mozambique has been one of the battle royale’s most useless weapons. Former Apex pro Mande is concerned about it, worrying it’ll be too powerful. “Nah, that’s going to be OP as f*ck,” the former North and SCARZ pro said upon seeing the new changes for Season 22. “If there’s Hammerpoints in these, they’re going to be so OP dude.” Timestamp of 8:40 On the flip side of things, the Dane is “fine” with the aim flinch changes. “That is actually crazy. That is a joke. I do not believe that’s true. That is crazy. No aim flinch is actually so nice. Now you can actually see stuff when you’re shooting,” he added. The changes coming in Season 22 are some of the most game-changing ones that Apex has seen for quite some time, with weapons being a big target. LMG users will now get a gun shield pop-up, similar to Gibraltar’s passive, with a much more limited amount of health. There are legend changes coming as well. Crypto will finally go off the grid when using his drone, as he’ll be completely cloaked. That should make him a top option moving forward.

Mande stunned as Apex Legends hacker leaks Wraith Prestige skin in-game – Dexerto
Mande stunned as Apex Legends hacker leaks Wraith Prestige skin in-game Twitch: Mande / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends star Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek was unknowingly one of the first to see the leaked Wraith Prestige skin properly in-game after a hacker crashed his lobby and showcased it to thousands on Twitch. It’s not a well-kept secret Wraith is getting Apex Legends’ next Prestige skin. The popular Legend’s upgradeable cosmetic was leaked and datamined just as Season 15 launched. While players have mostly seen graphics and renders — although one such instance had players running around with it in Arenas — it got massive exposure when someone dropped into Mande’s stream with the cosmetic. The hacker, named ‘eternalblue/chinaman’, managed to crash Mande’s lobby before joining and giving the Apex Legends star a first look at the fully upgraded Wraith Prestige skin. While it’s not the first time players have seen it ahead of Season 15, it’s the first big glimpse in-game. It looked just like the renders and graphics previously showcased, with the Prestige skin leveling up from an unmasked Wraith to one donning a full suit of armor. Mande was taken aback. Not only had he just unwittingly leaked a skin in front of thousands of viewers, he was shocked at how it happened. The random crashed his lobby, loaded in with a dev badge, started playing music, and that was that: “Chinaman joined me… it’s a dev? What!” He vanished within seconds, and it took Mande a few moments to realize what actually happened. “It’s next season’s skin? No shot. Oh my God — an exclusive. Am I getting banned for leaking a Wraith skin too early now?” While it’s unknown when the skin will actually drop, it’s heavily rumored to be coming soon as part of Apex Legends Season 15, which went live on November 1.

Apex Legends: How to make Gibraltar’s shield fly with Crypto trick – Dexerto
Apex Legends: How to make Gibraltar’s shield fly with Crypto trick RespawnApex Legends players have found a new way to use Gibraltar’s shield, all thanks to the game’s newest legend: Crypto. Gibraltar’s dome shield can be an absolute lifesaver for him and his teammates in a tight spot, providing cover from incoming fire and possibly giving players a chance to heal up if they need to. The ability also got a nice buff in the October 1 patch that allows players inside the shield to use healing items 25% faster and now players have found another use for the ability as well. 600It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Gibraltar! Creative players on Reddit have now discovered that Gibraltar’s dome can take to the skies with a little help from Crypto and his drone. In a video by Reddit user MacheteMolotov, Gibraltar places his shield on Crypto’s drone, allowing the dome to fly around with the drone fully deployed. The success of the experiment rightly makes the players freak out, but would this trick have any practical use during a match? It could be used to keep the drone safe, but it would make it much more conspicuous at the same time. The “Dome Drone” could be used as a distraction when entering a teamfight, and paired with the legend’s EMP, it could turn the tide in favor of the team using it. What’s also interesting is that Gibraltar’s shield doesn’t appear to be a full sphere, with no apparent protection in the area usually underground. Apex players are figuring out Crypto’s drone The latest legend’s drone doesn’t just allow Gibraltar’s dome to take flight, it can also be used to scout ahead and much, much more. Players have discovered that Crypto’s ability can be used to grab banners, open doors and even open boxes, in addition to scouting. Players are still discovering all the ins and outs of Crypto’s drone ability since the hero was added in the October 1 update, and it will be interesting to see what they come up with next.

Major Lifeline bug in Apex Legends makes her Healing Drone useless – Dexerto
Major Lifeline bug in Apex Legends makes her Healing Drone useless Electronic ArtsA frustrating bug in Apex Legends is denying players healing from Lifeline‘s doc drone, making one of her core abilities sometimes totally useless. Season 17 of Apex Legends is well underway, and its first event has begun. Dressed to Kill Collection Event has players competing for heirlooms and other goodies. But not all is going well as players are now reporting a bug that makes a large chunk of Lifeline’s kit useless in the Battle Royale. Multiple clips and testimonies from the player base confirmed that Lifeline’s doc drone is sometimes not providing healing to players, even if the correct animation and sound effects are playing, thus making the ability somewhat useless. Thankfully the community suggested a clever temporary solution that players can use, before the developers address the issue. Lifeline bug prevents her doc drone from doing their only job As showcased by Reddit user SledgeSNR, a new Lifeline bug cripples her by making the drone deployed when using her D.O.C. Heal Drone ability not function properly. The footage from Reddit shows that the player properly gets connected to the heal drone, and both visual and audio effects play out as they should, except that the player is not receiving health at all. Players are confused as to what causes the glitch because the drone sometimes functions properly and refuses to heal you at other times. One user suggested walking out of the drone’s range and walking up to it again to fix the issue if it’s encountered when playing. “I have experienced this a bunch too, usually gets fixed by just walking out of its range and back. Another issue I have had with those is the bot dying almost instantly while under a heat shield, just lost a game earlier due to this happening,” wrote one user. Respawn has yet to address or acknowledge the issue, but hopefully, it will get fixed before long. In the meantime, players can enjoy the Dressed to Kill Collection Event, even if some of the heirlooms featured look like adult toys according to the player base.

Major Level 500 bug is literally breaking Apex Legends – Dexerto
Major Level 500 bug is literally breaking Apex Legends After Respawn increased the maximum level cap in Apex Legends, players have been grinding to hit the illustrious Level 500 – but some have encountered a bug that has rendered their game unplayable. Apex Legends’ third season has been an unprecedented success. Players have been treated to a brand-new Legend, map and weapon, while being showered with cosmetic options. There have been multiple LTMs, and with another just around the corner, players are looking to see Season 3 out with a bang. That is, if you can play the game… Given the aforementioned LTMs, players have had more reason to engage with Respawn’s flagship battle royale than ever before. However, whereas players are typically rewarded for hitting a maximum level with a cool new badge or fresh in-game cosmetic, now it seems some are being inadvertently punished by being locked out of their account. Reported to the EA forums on January 6, upon reaching the maximum level, Respawn’s servers are literally preventing level 500 players from finding a server. While the topic initially gained traction on January 6, it appears that the issue is persisting almost one week on. According to the thread of messages, players are having no problem using another ‘dummy’ account to access the Apex Legends’ servers. With no word from any of the development team, one user wrote: “This is really ridiculous. The way Respawn is promoting new players and punishing veterans in every way possible. After all, we are the ones who own all the skins; we already spent our money.” Another user vented similar concerns ahead of the Grand Soiree event scheduled to commend on January 14. “I hope they can fix it before the event takes place,” the player stated. “I haven’t been able to play the level 500 account for a week.” Given that this is literally breaking their game, you’d assume that Respawn would place an issue of this magnitude at the forefront of their priorities. However, with no comments from the development team yet, and no indication that the issue is being worked on in the Apex Legends Dev Tracker, players will simply have to hold tight and pray that a hotfix is imminent.

Major inventory changes in Apex Legends System Override update – Dexerto
Major inventory changes in Apex Legends System Override update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends developers Respawn Entertainment have reworked aspects of the player inventory, including changes to Backpacks and stack sizes for certain items, grenades, and loot. Kicked off on Tuesday, March 3, the System Override Collections Event is the biggest affair in Apex Legends since the recent launch of Season 4. The update introduced a lot of new content as well as major changes to some areas of the game, one of them being the player inventory system. The inventory is among the most crucial parts of Apex Legends, so, needless to say, making fundamental changes to it can affect decision making and how the game is played. Base inventory slots & Backpacks The update increased the base number of slots players have in their inventory from eight to 10. In turn, this also expanded the slots available when a Backpack is equipped by two. Common (gray) Backpack: expands inventory to 12 slots (previously 10) – Rare (blue) Backpack: expands inventory to 14 slots (previously 12) – Epic (purple) Backpack: expands inventory to 16 slots (previously 14) – Remember, the Legendary (gold) Backpack has the same size inventory as the Epic one, so it too was expanded to 16 slots. Stack sizes reduced Of course, the changes outlined above vastly improved inventories, since even two extra slots can make a world of difference. With that in mind and in order to ensure that things won’t get too easy, Respawn balanced things out by reducing the stack sizes for several different items. The items affected are Grenades, Light/Heavy/Energy ammo, Syringes, Shield Cells, Med Kits, and Shield Batteries. Grenade stacks reduced to 2 -> 1. – Light / Heavy / Energy ammo stacks reduced from 80 -> 60. – Syringe and Shield Cell stacks reduced from 6 -> 4. – Med Kit and Shield Battery stacks reduced from 3 -> 2. – This, of course, doesn’t mean that players will only be able to carry only one Grenade or only two Med Kits, only that if they want to carry more, the items will take up more slots in their inventory. These inventory tweaks are only one of several major sets of changes that the March 3 update implemented. The patch also made balancing adjustments to several weapons and Legends, including the Peacekeeper, Bloodhound, and more. There were also several important quality of life improvements, such as a fix to the muzzle flash issue (albeit not for every weapon) and the new Heirloom Shards crafting system, which coincides with the release of Octane’s Heirloom set. For everything you need to know about the update, make sure to check out the Apex Legends System Override Collection Event patch notes.

Major flaw with Apex Legends on Switch needs to be improved – Dexerto
Major flaw with Apex Legends on Switch needs to be improved Respawn/EAAnyone who drops into a game of Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch may a pretty hefty flaw in crossplay games, as the Switch version tanks when approaching enemy players. Ever since Apex Legends first launched on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, Respawn Entertainment talked about wanting to get the battle royale on a wider variety of platforms. That includes teasers about a mobile version – similarly to Fortnite – as well as a Nintendo Switch version, which finally launched back on March 9. The initial impressions of the Switch version have been mixed, with plenty of complaints being made about the resolution and frame rate as this gives Switch players a pretty major disadvantage, especially in crossplay games with Xbox, PC, and PlayStation players. FPS drops warn of nearby enemies As DigitialFoundry pointed out in their recent test of the Switch version, Respawn have kept as much as they possibly can the same, but textures obviously take a backseat to keep performance up. However, that performance tanks to close to 20 FPS at times, especially in combat – but it gets choppy just before an enemy is about to appear as well. “The main problem is that frame rate problems intrude during confrontations with other players, exactly where performance should be at its best,” the tech YouTubers said during their test where they had a crossplay lobby going between the ‘docked’ Switch version and Xbox Series X. “On top of that, there’s the sense the frame rate may start to buckle simply by being in proximity to other players, an unlikely early warning system of sorts.” This means that you’ll know if there are enemies nearby if your FPS suddenly starts to drop. Timestamp of 14:10 DigitalFoundry also note that these problems are so severe that Switch players should at the very least turn off cross-play. This is an easy thing to do and a step-by-step guide can be found here. By switching off the cross-play feature, everyone is on a level playing field as you’ll only be matched up with fellow Switch players, however, wait times might increase if others keep cross-play switched on.

Major changes to Apex Legends floor loot potentially coming in Season 6 – Dexerto
Major changes to Apex Legends floor loot potentially coming in Season 6 Respawn/EA[jwplayer N00PrGvg]The Apex Legends meta could be in for a huge change with the start of Season 6 after one leaker hinted that the R-99 is set to only be available through supply drops. With the start of Season 6 just on the horizon, Respawn have started dropping hints about what Apex Legends fans can expect. Rampart will finally join the battle as a new legend, the ability to craft items is also coming, and World’s Edge is set for changes – though, an Olympus map might also join the rotation. As the start date for the new season inches closer and closer, leakers are also starting to work their magic by finding details about what Respawn hasn’t revealed just yet. As a result, it looks like the current loot pool of weapons could be in for a major overhaul, with hints that the R-99 may no longer be available off the floor. The hint comes courtesy of reliable leaker Biast12, who posted a teasing tweet on August 9. In his post, the leaker tweeted the names of the R-99 and Devotion with different emojis attached. The Devotion has a set of footprints next to it, seemingly signaling that the LMG will be available as floor loot in the next season instead of supply drops. Though, as for the hugely popular SMG weapon, there is a box as well as the medical emoji next to it – seemingly pointing to it only being available via Care Packages. However, the R-99 being in care packages would be a huge change in itself given that weapons aren’t typically found in there. Even though Biast has proven to be ultra-reliable in the past, we won’t know if the post is true until Season 6 releases. Yet, the changes would make sense. The addition of the Volt SMG means something will have to switch out and the R-99, being as powerful as it is, would fit as a supply drop weapon. Though, we’ll just have to see what Respawn has in store.

Major change to Apex Legends sniping coming soon – Dexerto
Major change to Apex Legends sniping coming soon Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment appear to have given the green light to a new sniping feature in Apex Legends and it could be a very welcome change for players. Quality of life changes can sometimes be the least juicy parts of patch notes when they’re revealed by developers, but eagle-eyed fans have spotted a big forthcoming addition that could make life a little easier for those who like to roam around Kings Canyon with a sniper. While players have always been able to change their sensitivity in the battle royale game, a small tweak to zooming seems to be in the works. The news has been doing the rounds on Reddit as one user posted a screenshot that showed not only the details of the new feature, but also that it’s expected to land in one of the game’s future content updates, as seen below. Respawn will be giving players the option to adjust their sensitivity for every zoom level when aiming down sights (ADS) – a concept that’s long been advocated by members of the game’s online community. This should them to fine tune their weapon for their play style and adds another level of customization. It appears to have been welcomed by fans, too. One posted: “Finally this will help me a lot for my sniping style. The current ADS is too slow for me to snipe how I’m used to.” Another said: “Props to Respawn for actually listening to suggestions and desires from the community, then putting it into their work flow.” The image shows that the feature has a ‘Coming in future patch’ tag right next to it, but doesn’t actually confirm an exact date on which we can expect to see it arrive in-game.

Apex Legends v1.13 update now live – full patch notes – Dexerto
Apex Legends v1.13 update now live – full patch notes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have released a major update in Apex Legends, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up on everything there is to know. The Apex Legends v1.13 update went live on May 20, implementing several fixes and improvements to core aspects of the game. The full patch notes for the update had actually been revealed by Respawn several days prior, and nothing new was added when the update was officially released. Audio fixes and improvements Audio has been one of the biggest inconsistent facets of Apex Legends, and this upcoming patch will work towards continuing to fix its issues and improve that aspect of the game overall. According to the notes, the update will increase the volume of close proximity enemy footsteps, as well as lower the volume of the game during the sequence that starts with the character screen to the end of the drop sequence, which most players have complained about. Hit detection fixes and improvements Another aspect of Apex Legends that has had its fair share of issues is hit detection, which Respawn had previously addressed several days prior. Their announcement revealed that this upcoming update will include fixes that should take care of most instances where bullets were not registering properly. In addition, the update will also feature tracking data for bullet damage, so that Respawn can better determine whether most of the issues are being caused by the coding or players’ internet connection problems. Below, you can find the full patch notes for today’s update, as provided by Respawn in their May 17 Reddit post. At this point, it’s not clear whether this will be the entirety of the notes, or if there will be more added once the update goes live next week. AUDIO FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS One of our biggest issues to tackle was improving the audio performance to address issues reported of sounds dropping out, sounds missing for extended time, or distortion for a period of time. We have made improvements both in our code and with our content that will hopefully fix these issues for many players, and for others, at least lower the amount and length of time they encounter audio issues. We have also addressed some of the other mix issues with the game, including increasing the volume of close proximity enemy footsteps and lowering the overall volume of the game from the character select screen to the end of the drop sequence. We will continue to monitor mix issues and address them as necessary. Below are the notes of improvements we’ve included in today’s patch and we’re continuing to work on future improvements. PERFORMANCE Improved audio engine to be around 30% more CPU efficient, lessening the chance of distortion or dropouts. – Lowered impact on data loading through code and content changes to improve potential dropout issues. – QUALITY OF LIFE Lowered the master volume of all sounds during the character select screen through the end of the drop sequence. – Lowered the volume of Wraith’s ambient kunai knife sound for those who are sensitive to the sound. If it is still bothersome we will remove it in a later patch. – Increased the volume of close proximity enemy footsteps for all Legends. – Increased the priority of enemy footsteps to ensure the sounds play even in heavy combat situations. – Slightly lowered the volume of Pathfinder footstep sounds heard from the first person view. – Fixed missing or quiet dryfire (out of ammo trigger click sound) and low ammo (the progressive change in sound that the gun makes as the magazine approaches empty) sounds for the R301, Hemlok, Flatline and RE45. – Increased the volume of the music that plays when winning a match. – Added more detailed audio to the Training mission. – BUG FIXES Fixed occlusion bug for the “wind down” sound for the Havoc. – Fixed issue with automatic weapon fire sounds occasionally getting stuck on, usually after a Legend respawns. – Fixed bug with RE45 missing tail sounds (the echo in the environment after the shot) when in close proximity. – HIT DETECTION FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS As we talked about last week, in this patch we’ve pushed some fixes that should eliminate many cases of incorrect hit registration. This patch also includes some behind-the-scenes tracking of bullet damage logic. We expect there will still be some remaining hit registration problems, but with these fixes and diagnostic information, we are better equipped to track them down. One potential cause of hit registration bugs can be simple internet connection problems. In order to determine how much of a factor this is in reality, we have put some time into refining the functionality behind our network problem indicator icons in the upper right of the screen. These icons are now pickier about your connection quality and may show up more frequently than they did before. These icon changes will be useful for us in narrowing down the cause of any bugs that we continue to see. Please continue to share videos and report hit registration issues you still encounter after the patch. FIX FOR LIFELINE “PICK ME UP” BANNER BUG ON PS4 The issue has been resolved and we will be re-enabling the banner after the patch is live. NOTE: We made changes to client and backend to address this and it’ll take a little time to take full effect. We’re expecting the error to resolve within a few hours after the patch is live. – – [PC ONLY] CRASHES SPECIFIC TO INTEL CPUs We investigated the crash reports from many people who were crashing frequently and found that Intel CPUs sometimes were not executing the instructions properly in one particular function. A common example was an instruction that only reads a register crashed on writing to invalid memory. With the help of many forum users, we found that lowering the clock speed always fixed the crashes, even if the CPU wasn’t overclocked or overheating. Thanks everyone, with a big shout out to Falkentyne, TEZZ0FIN0, JorPorCorTTV and MrDakk! This has been by far the most commonly reported PC crash over the last month or so and we’ve notified Intel about the issue. In the meantime, we’ve put a workaround in this patch to avoid the crashing at your original clock speeds just by changing the instructions used by that one function. Please continue to send your crash logs to our forums so we can analyze and fix any issues you encounter! ADDITIONAL BUG FIXES AND CHANGES Fixed issue with the Fortified Passive ability for Gibraltar and Caustic where they would take damage through shields. – Fixed the bug that allowed players to stick objects to Gibraltar’s Gun Shield. Admittedly it’s been fun to see the results of this but the behavior is not intended by design and could get out of control. Items will no longer stick to Gibraltar’s Gun Shield, however, it will now deflect Arc Stars. – – We have identified some issues with -novid, and will be disabling the flag until we can address the issues. Thank you for your patience –

Major Apex Legends Season 10 bug mutes all audio in-game – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends Season 10 bug mutes all audio in-game Respawn EntertainmentA major audio bug in Apex Legends seemingly muted all in-game sounds during a match, as Respawn works to fix greater Season 10 bugs affecting the battle royale. Respawn Entertainment have been working to fix some of the more recurring issues in Apex as the player base raise calls for the studio to address everything from server stalls to audio bugs. This has been a recurring concern in Season 10 since technical issues still persisted after later updates and the follow-up Evolution Collection patch did little to improve Apex. The devs are aware of this and on the case. While they figure out the root issues that plague Apex, more stubborn bugs are cropping up that are posing problems to some players. Reddit user ‘Florence-_-’ posted a clip that showed their gameplay affected by an audio issue that muted all sounds. “Come on Respawn, how can your audio get so bad it completely cuts out at random?” they said. Pulling off a match-winning clutch without sound, Florence took to the forums where more people reported a similar issue in their matches. “I had this happen to me yesterday, no audio at all,” user ‘Psh420’ said. “I spent like 3 mins f**king with my headset thinking it was on my end, had a game the day before where everything just echoed. “Every gunshot had a reverb on it and echoed for mad long. This season has been the most buggy s**t I ever seen.” Calls for a season that focuses on fixing issues in Apex Legends rather than adding content has been growing, though Respawn explained why an “Operation Health” wouldn’t be prudent. As a live-service game, patches and content added to Apex have a chance to disrupt something in the game. In the past, Respawn has been lauded for their approach to live-fixing issues, though this season has faced them with plenty of problems. While it’s uncertain if this issue can occur to wider audiences, Respawn will surely be working in the backend of Apex Legends to put out as many fires as they can.

Major Apex Legends leak reveals names of unreleased Legends – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends leak reveals names of unreleased Legends Respawn EntertainmentA huge Apex Legends leak has revealed nine unreleased characters and has even showcased some of their abilities in-game. With Apex Legends being a live service game, the community is always on the lookout for the next significant update or event. As it can take Respawn a long time to make these announcements, dataminers and leakers often take it upon themselves to identify information ahead of time. Most of the time, clues come in the form of game files which only provide minor hints, but occasionally, major leaks are revealed from the development version of Apex that should only be available internally at Respawn. Well, that’s exactly what’s happened on March 22, with 9 unreleased Legends and their abilities being revealed in one huge leak. Note: Keep in mind a lot of the Legends revealed in the leak could be older versions of an already released character or have been scrapped completely. Not only that, it’s impossible to know when this build of the game is from, so a lot could have changed since then, and before any of the Legends are released, if at all. Nine unreleased characters leaked in Apex Legends Originally just posting a screenshot of the roster with the unreleased Legends on the ApexUncovered subreddit, a lot of the community questioned the authenticity of the leak. However, their suspicions were short-lived, as the insider then posted a video of the Legends and their abilities inside the Firing Range. In total, nine unreleased Legends have been revealed with Conduit, Scryer, Newcastle, Uplink, Vantage, Catalyst, Phantom, Jester, and Caliber all making an appearance. The huge leak not only revealed the names of the Legends but also showcased their abilities which we’ll go through below. It’s worth noting that it’s likely a lot of these characters could be reworked or scrapped It’s also worth noting that leaks like this have surfaced in the past, with many of the Legends changing a lot when they actually arrive in-game. Conduit – Empathic Shielder Conduit appears to be a Support Legend that focuses on regenerating allied shields at the expense of her own. Passive: Capacitance – Conduit regenerates shield over time and gains extra regen for each nearby ally. – Tactical: Arc Flash – Heals the shields of targeted allies at the cost of some of her own. – Ultimate: Alternating Current – Conduit launches an arc cluster bomb damaging the shields of people near the blasts. This heals Conduit’s based on the damage dealt. – Scryer – Haunting Stalker Scryer looks like a Recon Legend that is capable of looking into enemy perspectives and setting traps. Passive: Spectator – Automatically Optic-Haunt and spectate your killer. – Tactical: Optic-Haunt – Deploy a parasite trap that reveals the Target’s Vision. – Ultimate: Shadow Wall – Unleash a creeping Wall of Darkness that blocks sight and binds enemies. – Caliber – Apex Arms Dealer Caliber is an offensive Legend that is capable of storing a third weapon, creating turrets, and providing ammo for their squad. Passive: Weapon Sling – A sling where you can store a third weapon. – Tactical: Suppressor Turret – Deploy a makeshift turret from a copy of your active weapon. – Ultimate: Auto Loader – Deploy a box that feeds ammo directly into nearby players’ current weapons/ – Jester – Tricky Trapper Jester is a Legend that can cloak themselves and their teammates, as well set traps for unsuspecting enemies to walk into. Passive: Rewire – Jester can turn any grenade into a proximity mine that sticks to surfaces. – Tactical: Spectre Drop – Call in a drop pod with 3 spectres to guard an area. Only 1 set can be active at a time. – Ultimate: Cloak Field – Creates a short-lived cloaking device that hides all players in a small area. Cloak lasts for 6 seconds. – Phantom – Agile Assassin Phantom is a mobile Legend with a combination of abilities similar to Pathfinder, Wraith, and Octane. Passive: Double Jump – Pressing the jump button while in the air allows you to jump again. – Tactical: Hook Shot – Hook to a wall and hang off it for a short time. – Ultimate: Void Grenade – A grenade that sends hit players to the void for a short period of time. – Vantage – Survival Sniper Vantage is a Legend that specializes in long-range combat and even comes equipped with their own custom rifle as an Ultimate. Passive: Sniper Kit – Tactical info available in ADS unarmed or any long-range scopes (Legend name, shield rarity, team size, and range). – Tactical: Echo Launch – Launch towards your winged companion, Echo. Order Echo by tapping Q. Launch to Echo by holding Q. – Ultimate: Mark to Kill – A custom rifle which scans enemies and boosts damage for Vantage and her squad. Damage doubles for Vantage on successive shots. Team gets 15% bonus on marked targets. – Catalyst – Creative Builder Catalyst is a character capable of creating platforms and walls with their abilities, providing useful cover for their squad. Passive: Reinforce – Standing near your ferro fluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables will strengthen their integrity and allow them to take significantly more damage. – Tactical: Ferro Shot – On impact, the shot creates a ramp of hardened ferro fluid that can be extended with more shots. Can also be used to create platforms on walls (Max 3 structures). – Ultimate: Iron Tower – Ferrofluid rises up from below, pushing you upwards while creating a tall solid column under you. – Uplink – Satellite Savior Uplink is a support Legend that can boost consumable effects and even prevent teammates from going down temporarily. Passive: Network Communion – Gain 25% Recovery Effects used in Signal Range. – Tactical: Shield Satellite – Release a Satellite that follows allies to regenerate their shields and revive. – Ultimate: Immortality Relay Beacon – Deployable Satellite Beacon that prevents allies in the signal area from being downed. – Newcastle – Mobile Defender Newcastle is another Support Legend that specializes in protecting allies with shields and keeping them safe after they’ve been downed. Passive: Retrieve The Wounded – Drag downed allies as you revive and protect them with your Revive Shield. – Tactical: Mobile Shield – Throw a controllable drone that creates a moving energy shield. – Ultimate: Castle Wall – Leap and slam to a target ally or area and create a fortified stronghold. – So, there you have it, those are all of the nine Legends that have been leaked from the internal build. As mentioned above, a lot of these characters have likely been scrapped or reworked into existing Legends, so don’t expect all of them to be joining the roster anytime soon. Either way, it gives us a glimpse into some of the concepts and ability ideas that the devs have for future Legends.

Major Apex Legends glitch is stopping players from getting into game – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends glitch is stopping players from getting into game RespawnTrying to drop onto Kings Canyon After Dark but can’t seem to ready up? You’re not alone. A major Apex Legends glitch is stopping players from getting into game, and the solution to fix it is unclear. September Soiree was meant to be a big affair for Apex Legends. With tons of LTMs, including King’s Canyon: After Dark and Dummies Big Day, players were hyped to grind out the different game modes. There were also some event-exclusive skins on offer from the Grand Soiree back in August available to help celebrate Season 6. Party’s back on track, get in here! 🎉 Now through Sept. 15, revisit an old favorite but at night with Kings Canyon After Dark. 🌘 pic.twitter.com/jCDncoKduY — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) September 10, 2020 However, if the new event wasn’t already proving to be buggy enough, a new glitch is flat out stopping players from getting into Apex Legends. After launching the King’s Canyon: After Dark LTM, players noted they weren’t able to join the queue. While they could select the game mode they wanted to play, when prompted to start the queue, they’d just be taken back into the mode select screen. Obviously, not being able to queue up means no Apex Legends. The game won’t just automatically launch you into queue after a period of time. The community has been brainstorming a number of solutions. You can try one of the following things to solve this glitch and get back into game as fast as possible: Restart your game client, and try and queue up again – Change your servers, and try and queue up again – Join a friend who doesn’t have the glitch and queue up – Uninstall and reinstall the game (yes, this is drastic, but if you’re desperate…) – It’s not clear if it’s a server issue or a client issue, but one thing is for sure — Respawn is likely cracking on a fix as fast as possible. Expect a hotfix to drop in the coming hours to solve this glitch. Major bug right now not letting people Ready Up for matches in #ApexLegends. If you’re getting this, try restarting, changing servers, or joining a friend who doesn’t have the bug. It might require a hotfix. Will keep you updated… pic.twitter.com/OQYl5DcCHU — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) September 11, 2020 Until then, you just have to have your fingers and toes crossed. If you’re one of the unlucky ones with the glitch, you won’t be able to get into game, meaning you’ll have to watch the action on the sidelines for the time being.

Major Apex Legends glitch gives Valkyrie’s teammates permanent scans of enemies – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends glitch gives Valkyrie’s teammates permanent scans of enemies Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has discovered a major Valkyrie bug involving her skydive passive that gives her teammates permanent scans of enemy squads for the entire match. Since her release at the beginning of Season 9, Valkyrie has become an extremely popular Legend among Apex players. Her ability to soar through the sky and disrupt the battlefield from above provides a unique gameplay experience. However, despite her incredibly fun set of abilities, not every aspect of the Winged Avenger’s kit was working as intended after her release. With an ultimate bug that was dragging squads under the map and a firing range exploit allowing players to farm kills, Valkyrie definitely needed Respawn to make some tweaks following her release. Unfortunately, another major glitch has been discovered by players and it involves her skydive passive that reveals enemies on the map. If a Valkyrie disconnects mid-skydive, it appears the rest of her team receives permanent scans of enemy locations for the entire match. Valkyrie bug gives players permanent scans of enemies A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit has showcased a major bug that occurs when a Valkyrie player disconnects mid-skydive. The Winged Avenger’s passive allows her to detect enemies within 250m while skydiving down onto the map. However, as wrproductions discovered, if the Valkyrie disconnects mid-air, this ability provides a permanent scan of enemy locations for the entire game. As you can see in wrproductions’ video, every few seconds the squad receives a visual indicator of all enemies in their vicinity. While this bug is extremely rare, players could exploit it so Respawn will need to take action as soon as possible. Although this glitch forces you to play with one less player, having the ability to see the exact location of every single nearby enemy certainly makes up for the loss. Let’s hope Respawn gets this issue fixed in an upcoming patch and prevents Valkyrie from acting like a UAV for her teammates.

Major Apex Legends bug makes Shadowfall LTM unwinnable – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends bug makes Shadowfall LTM unwinnable A bizarre new glitch in Apex Legends is denying players victories in Shadowfall, even if they manage to reach the evac ship. Season 3 of Apex Legends launched on October 1, changing the game’s map from Kings Canyon to World’s Edge. While some didn’t take to the new setting all that quickly, they were handed the step back into the old map but under a nighttime setting thanks to the Fight or Fright event. The Halloween-themed event added the Shadowfall limited-time mode, which tasks players with avoiding ‘shadow’ versions of legends in the new map, before having to reach an evac ship in order to win. That’s proven pretty difficult already, but a new bug is denying players the opportunity at winning altogether. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Mirage_Main showcased a video of what would have been a stunning way to win – using Pathfinder’s zipline and grappling hook to reach the ship in spectacular fashion. As Mirage_Main got there, though, the countdown to the evacuation was still on, so they tossed a thermite grenade outside of the ship, dealing further damage to the shadow legends. Yet, as they inspected their inventory menu just moments later, the game froze and sent the Redditor to the game’s start screen with an error message in-tow. Some fans immediately pointed out that this problem can stem from trying to drop items while in the evac ship. ”Apparently this happens when you drop an ultimate accelerant while inside the ship,” noted user le_saint, even though Mirage_Main hadn’t done so. Another, RandomFactor_, added: “I had this happen to me too on an evac,” explaining that they dropped multiple items from their inventory – not just the ultimate accelerant like other examples. Members of the Respawn developer team do frequent the subreddit, responding to problems, and issuing updates on them, but as of writing, they haven’t done so for this particular bug. It remains to be seen if they are aware of the problem and if a fix is incoming. They would have to act fast though as the Shadowfall LTM leaves the game’s servers on November 5.

Major Apex Legends bug instantly self-revives enemies – Dexerto
Major Apex Legends bug instantly self-revives enemies Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre glitch has been found following the Apex Legends April 7 update, allowing enemies to instantly self-revive after being downed. The Old Ways event kicked off on April 7 in Apex Legends and along with it came an update featuring changes for weapon and character balancing, as well as bug fixes and new playlists. Unfortunately, the update appears to have also added a new glitch with Mirage’s decoys, which causes downed enemies to instantly revive. The bizarre glitch has been spotted by numerous players, with one example pointing out that the bug would only occur after Mirage’s decoy had been destroyed. “When his decoy is destroyed (and the enemy is downed), the downed enemy revives,” they explained, highlighting the issue in the clip. The video demonstrated that the downed player was instantly brought back to their feet after Mirage’s decoy was destroyed, which could lead to some problems for those looking to select Mirage in-game. Many Mirage mains have voiced their frustration with the new bug, particularly after their favorite Legend received an accidental nerf in the last patch, with his Psyche Out ability being set to a 25-second cooldown. Fans began to come up with their own theories on how the unusual bug had come about, with some even suggesting that a downed player would absorb the decoy’s lost health. However, regardless of its cause, the glitch could make Mirage mains much more cautious when it comes to using the bugged ability. Ok guys, I’m only gonna say this once – I feel you people out there talking about Mirage buffs, and the one thing I’ll say is… it’s coming… pic.twitter.com/Ac1XkiNjMG — Carlos Pineda 🇵🇭 (@pinedsman) April 7, 2020 Respawn game designer Carlos Pineda recently revealed that, despite the legend’s current state, they have some good news for Mirage fans with plans to implement buffs for the legend in a future patch. Although he did not reveal much at all on what changes players can expect to see from the future update, it is likely that Respawn will look to fix this unusual bug as well as making him more viable against some of the fan-favorites which have dominated the character selection phase as of late.

Magnetic Apex Legends character would perfectly balance the roster – Dexerto
Magnetic Apex Legends character would perfectly balance the roster EAA savvy Apex Legends player has devised the ultimate character to rival the likes of Caustic in the Apex Games, complete with the perfect backstory to tie into their lore. As it stands, there are no Legends like Caustic in the Apex Legends universe. Despite having a wide-range of options from an Interdimensional Skirmisher to a Translocating Thief, there is still no other Legend who has the ability to single handedly hold down Bunker like the Toxic Trapper. Indeed, it’s Caustic’s traps which keep his enemies at arm’s length and can prove to be a nuisance to deal with if you’re on the receiving end. Yet a clever Legend concept might just provide the ideal solution, without heavily affecting character balance. We’ve all been on the receiving end of Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap in Bunker. Come within a certain vicinity and you find yourself perishing at the hands of the deadly gas. While the traps are easy enough to spot, maneuvering past them and remaining undetected is a different story altogether. Yes, they’re easy enough to shoot, but what if you’re wanting to fly under the radar? Well this ingenious Legend concept would provide a character that could slot right into the current roster, without shifting the balance. Polaris, known as a ‘Magnetic Conduit,’ is the son of a Militia Pilot who picked up a knack for manipulating electromagnetic fields after his exposure to his father’s work with Gravity Stars (similar to Arc Stars). In terms of Polaris’ abilities, it’s their Passive where they shine the most. Having the ability to see the trigger radius of nearby traps would provide the perfect counter to the likes of Caustic and Wattson, who can completely dominate endgame scenarios with their Tactical Ability. Polaris’ Tactical utilizes their knack with magnet to essentially pin Legends in certain situations — which could prove to be a game-changer when trying to clutch versus another squad. To top things off, the character would have the capability to “warp the path of incoming bullets” with their Ultimate… Which holds its own intriguing prospect by itself.

Mad Maggie’s Ultimate is breaking footstep audio in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Mad Maggie’s Ultimate is breaking footstep audio in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA frustrating glitch involving Mad Maggie’s Wrecking Ball Ultimate seems to be breaking footstep audio in Apex Legends by making it significantly louder. While gunplay, maps, and Legend abilities will always be the most important aspects of Apex, audio is a factor that often gets overlooked. With each of the POIs in the Outlands packed with obstacles, buildings, and terrain for players to traverse, the ability to hear an enemy’s footsteps is absolutely essential. For a long time, this has been a significant issue in Apex, with a lot of the community complaining that audio will simply disappear at crucial moments, exposing them to surprise attacks from opposing squads. Well, a new bug involving Maggie’s Ultimate appears to be causing players with the opposite issue, amplifying the audio to the point where it’s impossible to concentrate or hear anything but your own footsteps. Maggie bug is making footsteps frustratingly loud in Apex Complaints about audio in Apex usually involve a lack of sound, but in iiTzTimmy’s case, he had the opposite issue after using the speed boost from Mad Maggie’s Ultimate. After aggressively rushing down a squad using the speed pads dropped by Maggie’s Wrecking Ball, Timmy noticed that his footsteps with twice as loud as they were before. He immediately realized that he’d been hit with an “audio bug” that made it impossible to hear any of the important sounds in-game. Not only that, the strange sound differences were clearly enough to put Timmy off and made it hard for him to concentrate on important gunfights. With the Xbox input lag issues, replicator glitch, and hit reg problems facing Apex at the moment, it’s unlikely that Maggie’s audio bug is going to be prioritized. However, this is certainly something to look out for in your matches if you ever play with a Rebel Warlord. At a glance, it does appear as if the amplified audio is only present for the player experiencing the bug, and not the rest of the lobby. So at the very least, this issue shouldn’t make it any easier for opposing squads to track you down on the map.

Mad Maggie’s Apex Legends pick rate may result in Season 12 changes already – Dexerto
Mad Maggie’s Apex Legends pick rate may result in Season 12 changes already Respawn/EAAfter arriving in Apex Legends Season 12, Mad Maggie has taken third spot when it comes to the most-used characters in the game, but she is lagging behind Octane and Wraith, not taking top spot like other new legends. The arrival of Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance allowed long-time fans of Respawn’s battle royale to finally get their hands on Mad Maggie as a playable legend. Hailing from Salvo, the Rebel Warlord has already shaken up the meta a little, as her speed-boosting abilities have both made Shotguns a must-use in matches, and kept enemy players on their toes once she engages. As like many of the new legends before her, Mad Maggie has become a familiar face in many matches, however, she hasn’t risen to be the most popular pick as there are still two legends being used more than her. The stats, which come from Apex Legends Status, have revealed that Maggie has jumped up to become the third most-used legend in Apex currently, with an almost 10% usage rate. She lags slightly behind Wraith, who sits in second place with an almost 11% usage rate, but they both pale in comparison to Octane who has a 15% usage rate in matches and has only continued to rise. With the ranked levels for the new season still shaking out, Maggie is currently being played mostly at a silver two level – which puts her on par with Pathfinder, Valkyrie, Gibraltar, and Crypto. Again, in this metric, she’s still behind Octane, with Bloodhound, Lifeline, and even Fuse being played at a higher level. Naturally, as players grow tired of Maggie’s newness, her pick rate will likely fall off somewhat as she settles into a truer spot within the battle royale meta. Obviously, if she falls away too much, it could be the case that Respawn go back to the drawing board and give her a little more love, but that remains to be seen at this early stage.

Mad Maggie & Catalyst create perfect combo in Apex Legends Winter Express – Dexerto
Mad Maggie & Catalyst create perfect combo in Apex Legends Winter Express Respawn EntertainmentTwo players showcased how deadly Catalyst and Mad Maggie can be in tandem after dealing with a rat in Apex Legends’ Winter Express LTM. Apex Legends’ Wintertide Collection event is finally here and with it brought the return of the Winter Express LTM. Though some players have felt unsatisfied with the LTM this year, other players are enjoying the return as a nice break from the traditional Battle Royale experience. Now, two players have showcased a fairly devastating combo in the Winter Express game mode thanks to Mad Maggie and Catalyst’s abilities and how they play off one another. Apex Legends players show off devastating Winter Express Legend combo The combo comes from Reddit user graveygrave who made a post on the Apex Legends subreddit titled “Use Maggie and Catalyst to counter Lobas on Winter Express.” The title references players exploiting a bug that allows Loba to get inside an empty cargo container on the Winter Express train, with no obvious option for opposing teams to eliminate her. However, the video showed a team managing to stop this player from exploiting the bug, thanks to Catalyst and Mad Maggies’ abilities. The Catalyst player used their tactical ability to lay spikes along the floor of the cargo container, while Mad Maggie used her Drill ability to slowly burn them. With those two abilities combined, the team was able to eliminate the player who exploited the glitch. Unfortunately, it seems like this issue isn’t an isolated event, as other players have encountered enemy players exploiting the bug. “Thank you for this. Won 18 in a row with my friends on Tuesday and on the 19th game we had the enemy do this intentionally. They had two teammates sitting on the outside just sniping and refused to quit even though we pushed overtime for 6 rounds or so.” said one Reddit user. Others noted that the team composition is simply really strong for the Winter Express mode. “Maggie Catalyst & Caustic are the perfect team for this mode,” said one player. Considering Winter Express focuses on holding down one location with small alleyways and tight corridors, those three Legends do work very well together. Players who have either struggled to win Winter Express or who’ve encountered this frustrating Loba exploit should try using Mad Maggie and Catalyst together for some devastating results.

Mad Maggie buff idea for Apex Legends would instantly fix her pick rate – Dexerto
Mad Maggie buff idea for Apex Legends would instantly fix her pick rate Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends fan has come up with a pretty nifty idea to give Mad Maggie a bit of a buff in the battle royale, and other players are hoping Respawn implements it. When Mad Maggie arrived in the Apex Games during Apex Legends Season 12, many players voiced concerns about her abilities, claiming she was overpowered and a big game-breaking. Since then, though, the Rebel Warlord has seen her pick rate slide quite a bit, and she’s become repeatedly affected by bugs. Some have made her abilities a bit useless, prompting that pick rate to slide even further. With Apex Legends Season 14 on the horizon, many players have been questioning if the Salvo hero will be getting a bit of love from Respawn and receiving a buff. While that is not yet known, some have been coming up with their own concepts for what they’d like to see changed – and some fans are loving them. One in particular, which came from Redditor wing6781, is focused on giving Maggie’s Wrecking Ball ultimate a bit of fine-tuning by buffing its damage and giving her a new ability. If the Redditor’s concept was implemented, Maggie’s Wrecking Ball would deal increased damage and stun enemies depending on how far it traveled. For example, if you used the ult and it encountered an enemy within your immediate area, they’d take 20 damage and be stunned for a second. Though, if they were a bit further away, that would increase to 40 damage and three seconds worth of stun. Wing6781’s idea would also allow Maggie to get faster reloads with shotguns when she steps on her speed boost pads – which is similar to how the Boosted Loader hop-up works in-game. So, it’s not completely far-fetched. Some fans quickly rallied in support of the idea, noting how it “makes sense” for the Wrecking Ball to build additional energy. “Certainly worth the buff. I like that it was only about her ultimate to give her an edge in combat,” said one. “I actually love these changes,” added another. While Respawn could always take inspiration from the idea, they’ve noted previously that they can’t outright copy them. So, we’ll have to wait and see if they’ve got anything similar planned.

LuluLuvely fans rally behind streamer after struggles with hate and suddenly ending stream – Dexerto
LuluLuvely fans rally behind streamer after struggles with hate and suddenly ending stream Twitter: LuLuLuvelyAfter Apex Legends streamer LuluLuvely quit mid-stream due to issues with the community’s toxicity, fans have rallied behind the Twitch star. While Apex Legends has been praised for its inclusivity, no online game or community, especially around a personality, is safe from the rantings and ravings of toxic individuals. Twitch streamers such as LuluLuvely often face the worst of the abuse from jealous viewers or trolls. Quitting mid-stream due to being overwhelmed by negativity, the streamer mentioned that she was being “pushed over the edge.” LuluLuvely ends stream abruptly Clearly distressed, Lulu’s June 9 stream ended abruptly. While the original VOD has been deleted, a 30 second clip has resurfaced. “I haven’t been in a dark place for a long time, but this community pushes me over the edge,” confesses the streamer. “It makes me think about killing myself all the f**king time now.” The clip cuts off, but Lulu goes on to vent that the pressure put on her to inspire is outweighed by the backlash she gets for her efforts. From what we are aware, the stream ended very quickly after this. Fans rally behind LuLu Lulu has not tweeted or streamed since, leading to an outpouring of positive support from both her community, and the wider Apex playerbase. One fan reminds the streamer that “Lulu, you’re an inspiration to so many women, and you have an insane amount of support right behind you.” How fucking low you must be to bully a streamer off for being a fucking WOMAN. To the low life’s that bullied @LuluLuvely off her stream, fuck you. Lulu, you’re an inspiration to so many women, and you have an insane amount of support right behind you. 🤍 People, do better. — vic (@hiyaitsvictoria) June 9, 2021 Another fan replied to the streamer’s latest tweet, pleading with her to “please take care of yourself, you are so loved and so appreciated by your true community. We love you sooo much!!” Lulu I am so sorry you have to go through all of this. I cried watching the stream, I can only imagine how you feel. LuluLuvely explains why she’s thinking about quitting Apex Legends forever – Dexerto
LuluLuvely explains why she’s thinking about quitting Apex Legends forever Respawn EntertainmentPopular Twitch streamer LuluLuvely has explained why she’s considering saying “farewell” to Apex Legends and quitting the game forever – although hasn’t made her mind up yet. With over 1.3 million followers on Twitch and a dedicated fanbase of viewers who tune into every single stream, LuluLuvely is one of the most popular personalities in the Apex Legends community. Known for her incredible mechanics and accuracy with the powerful Kraber, you can guarantee Lulu is causing havoc in the Outlands whenever you join her stream. Unfortunately, that may not be the case forever, as recently she’s expressed a desire to quit Apex as she’s simply not enjoying the game as much anymore. Complaining about the lack of content and persistent problems in Ranked, Lulu has revealed that she’s finally considering a “farewell” to Respawn’s battle royale. LuluLuvely reveals she might quit Apex Legends During her June 16 stream, Lulu decided to take a break from Apex and speak directly to her chat about how she’s feeling about the current state of the game. Taking her viewers by surprise, Lulu revealed that she wants to go to the upcoming Apex LAN event, but she also wants it to be her “farewell” to Respawn’s battle royale. As it’s the main title she streams on Twitch, quitting Apex would be a huge decision for Lulu and she admitted it’d be extremely hard to “completely walk away”. Of course, this news sparked a lot of questions from her chat asking about why she wasn’t enjoying Apex anymore. Lulu responded by saying that whether you play PUBS or Ranked, the game feels like a “struggle” and it’s almost impossible to have fun unless you have a premade group. Not only that, she voiced her frustration about the lack of “content” and the broken custom lobbies, which all result in her having no motivation to jump on and play. She even said Apex is not good “for business,” as a full-time content creator. “It’s not enjoyable, it’s not fun, it’s not fun, there’s no content, there’s nothing to do on Apex, you can either struggle in Ranked or struggle in PUBS, pick your struggle.” Although the Apex community will certainly be sad to see Lulu go if she does decide to quit, it’s safe to say she’s not the only one growing tired of the direction that the game is heading. It’s obvious a lot of players are not satisfied with the core gameplay experience, with the primary complaint being the poor matchmaking affecting the overall balance of lobbies. Respawn may be considering solutions to address this problem, or they could risk losing players who have run out of patience waiting for a solution.

LuluLuvely claims EA backflipped on key Apex Legends creator skin details – Dexerto
LuluLuvely claims EA backflipped on key Apex Legends creator skin details Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: LuluLuvelyPopular streamer LuluLuvely has claimed Apex Legends content creators were not paid royalties for their work on collab skins in February’s anniversary event. It was a last-minute backflip according to the star, and one that led to her falling out of love with the game. While gunplay and characters are without a doubt the most important aspect of Apex Legends, cosmetics are also extremely significant. As certain skins can only be obtained for a limited amount of time, or just look absolutely incredible, some players are willing to grind or spend a lot of money to add them to their collection. This was certainly the case for the content creator collab skins for the third anniversary of Apex back in February 2022. EA selected a number of popular personalities from the community and gave them the chance to design a weapon skin in conjunction with an artist. LuluLuvely was one such creator who took part. However the Twitch star is not satisfied with how EA went about it, with miscommunications and a backflip a day before launch souring the whole experience. During a recent stream, LuluLuvely decided to speak about the Aftershock Wave R-301 skin that she helped design with artist lilakeyLK. “All of the creator skins — EA told us for months ‘they’re going to be creator skins, it’s your skin’,” she said, “and then the day before they released them, they were like ‘yeah your name isn’t actually going to be attached to the skin at all, nor will you get any money from the skin or recognition.’ “When I brought it up to EA, they’re like ‘we’ll mention you in the blog post.’” She was paid initially for helping out with the skin. However promised royalties — which were tied with her name and likeness being in the game — were turned down at the last minute. As for how it impacted Lulu in the long run? She had a simple statement for that: “And people wonder why I stopped playing [Apex Legends].” EA is yet to comment on Lulu’s claims.

Luckiest Apex Legends player ever gets three Heirloom packs in 30 minutes – Dexerto
Luckiest Apex Legends player ever gets three Heirloom packs in 30 minutes Respawn EntertainmentAn unbelievably lucky Apex Legends player has managed to pull three Heirloom packs in under 30 minutes, giving them a total of 450 shards. While new and limited-time skins are always sought-after by the Apex Legends community, nothing is prized more than the mythic-tier Heirlooms. These extremely rare items can only be unlocked with Heirloom Shards that can be collected in packs at a drop rate of 1 in 500. If players reach 500 total packs opened, they are guaranteed the shards, but this can take an enormous amount of time and dedication. Of course, when luck is on your side, it’s always possible to beat the odds and one player did exactly that, picking up three Heirloom packs in 30 minutes. Apex player pulls 450 Heirlooms Shards from 30 packs An Apex Legends player has gone viral on Twitter after showcasing one of the luckiest pack openings ever recorded. IBuzxii managed to pull three Heirlooms packs in under 30 minutes with all three coming in the space of around 30 packs. Hitting the 1 in 500 drop rate that many times in such a short period of time is nothing short of incredible and provides them with a total of 450 Heirloom shards. With that, they can buy three Heirlooms and can avoid the tough decision most players have to make when they can only unlock one. While a lot of players celebrated IBuzxii’s achievement, others were extremely jealous and revealed that they were still on the hunt for their first Heirloom. Either way, it’s unlikely something like this will ever be captured again, or at least not for a very long time. Fingers crossed you don’t have to wait too long for your shards if you’re still on the hunt, especially with the level cap increases offering more packs.

Luchador Octane is the Apex Legends skin you never knew you needed – Dexerto
Luchador Octane is the Apex Legends skin you never knew you needed Respawn EntertainmentOne creative Apex Legends fan has come up with a skin concept for Octane that would put a fresh new spin on the character for the New Year. There have been plenty of fan-made skins shared with the Apex Legends community that players wouldn’t mind seeing added to the game. Now we have another great skin that would be a perfect fit for Octane in 2020, no matter what Apex itself brings. Reddit user neen87 shared their design for a “Luchador” Octane on the official Apex Legends subreddit and it looks perfect for the game’s resident adrenaline junkie. It gives him a red and blue color scheme, but the most important part of this skin is that it finally gives Octane a cape. His facemask has also been recolored and the ferocious-looking eyes are perfect and really sell the luchador look neen was going for with this skin. Apex Legends does have its one-year anniversary coming up, but whether or not they’ll celebrate with an event similar to Overwatch remains to be seen. If they do, Luchador Octane could be the kind of crazy original skin that would be a hit with players, since it’s already pretty popular on Reddit as well. Speaking of Apex Legends events, the game still has its Christmas-themed “Holo-Day” Bash event going on, where players can unlock special holiday skins and cosmetics. According to EA’s website, the Mirage Holo-Day Bash Collection event is scheduled to leave the Apex Legends servers on January 7. This means players will only have a few more days left to complete any challenges and acquire any cosmetic items they were looking for.

Looting change for Evo Shield in Apex Legends confirmed by developer – Dexerto
Looting change for Evo Shield in Apex Legends confirmed by developer Respawn/EAApex Legends dev Daniel Klein has confirmed that Respawn are working on a feature that will allow players to see how much damage an Evo Shield needs to level up when looting it from an enemy. As Apex Legends Season 6 got underway, Respawn made a pretty major change in regards to shields. When you drop into a game, you start without a shield but only require 50 damage to level up to a common shield. Players can still loot different shields from loot bins and the usual floor loot shields, but it can be quite annoying when you take down an enemy and look to steal their better-leveled shield, as there is no indication how close to the next level it is. It’s a difficult decision, do you stick with your own shield and carry on, or switch over and try your luck with the enemies shield – risking a reset on the progress on our own shield in case you want to switch back. Well, after one fan put forward the idea of having an indicator on the looting menu of how far along an enemy shield is, Apex Legends developer Daniel Klein chimed in with the news that most players are hoping for. “Yup! We’re working on something like this,” the dev commented, though he wasn’t able to offer any additional details past that. “No timeline, but hoping to ship it soon.” With the Aftermarket Collection Event scheduled to get underway on September 15/16, according to rumors, it could be rolled out then, but, as Klein says, there is no timeline just yet. Comment byu/3KeyReasons from discussion inapexlegends Another thing that could be included in the Aftermatch Collection Event patch is a fix for knockdown shields after they’ve been rendered “useless” in Season 6. The devs noted that a fix for the problem “in progress” via their public Trello Board, so by the time Aftermatch rolls out, Apex Legends could be spick and span with a few, must-needed changes.

Loba’s kit and abilities in Apex Legends revealed – Dexerto
Loba’s kit and abilities in Apex Legends revealed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has revealed the abilities and kit that Loba will be working with as she charges her way into Season 5 and everything that comes with it. Season 5 of Apex is set to begin on May 12, and as players gear up to hop in and enjoy all of the new content, Respawn has given us the lowdown on the newest legend Loba and all of her abilities. Up until this latest info, we didn’t really have a solid idea of what her unique abilities would be, outside of what we saw in the Season 5 Gameplay Trailer. Loba’s Tactical and Passive abilities “Burglar’s Best Friend” is the name of Loba’s Tactical ability and it allows her to teleport to tricky places or escape a fight quickly using her bracelet. This ability seems to work very similarly to Sombra’s Translocator in Overwatch – you throw the bracelet out, and you can teleport with Loba to wherever it lands. Her passive is called “Eye for Quality,” which reveals epic and legendary loot through walls, within a certain distance. Allowing you to only pick up the finest in weapons and gear. Loba’s Ultimate Ability Eye for Quality works basically in tandem with her “Black Market Boutique” ultimate, which turns her staff into a device that teleports nearby loot into your inventory. Each friendly (or enemy) legend can take up to two items from the ability, which makes it a good way to kit out your squad if you’re the first in an unlooted area. It will be interesting to see how players use Loba’s abilities to outmaneuver each other, and maybe even steal items out from under their enemies noses. However Loba’s kit ends up fitting into the Apex Legends meta, that doesn’t change the fact we can’t wait to try her and her abilities out when Season 5 starts on May 12.

Loba’s hitbox in Apex Legends is apparently very broken – Dexerto
Loba’s hitbox in Apex Legends is apparently very broken Respawn Entertainment via sant_priyaLoba’s hitbox in Apex Legends has some inconsistencies that make her a much easier target to shoot than her character model lets on – posing an unintended problem for the latest character. The Season 5 Legend has been a fan-favorite for her fun ability kit that rewards aggressive playstyles and access to loot mechanics which keep her well-equipped, even in the early stages of a game. Though the support character has a slimmer profile to her appearance than others, her hitbox doesn’t play by the same rules. Near the middle of her model, opponents can get away with a bit of inaccuracy since the shots can still land. User ‘sant_priya’ found out after shooting some rounds near her torso that Loba’s hitbox is just slightly off the mark. This makes her midsection more prone to errant shots, as some players “noticed [they were] taking a lot of hits as her.” Taking her to the Firing Range, they aimed down just under her left elbow, but considerably away from her torso. Firing a shot, however, damaged the Epic Body Shielded-Loba for 13 HP. Repeating this method to the other side of the High Society Thief yielded the same results, as a shot fired away from her character model managed to deal the same amount of damage. Even though the example that uses a P2020 is basically harmless, a near-miss Kraber shot that wouldn’t normally land could be more problematic to deal with in the later stages of the game. Respawn are generally quick to patch these kinds of bugs up when they catch wind of them. The devs previously addressed similar issues like this one for Legends like Octane, Gibraltar, Wraith, and more. These kinds of inconsistencies can affect how players approach Apex Legends, especially if multiple characters have the same kind of problem. “Seriously I don’t know if I’m just overthinking it but the hitboxes for each character have made me switch Legends so much this season,” user ‘demiweeps’ said. “I feel like playing as Bloodhound if I’m face-to-face with a Wraith/Lifeline I get destroyed so often but it doesn’t really happen as much if I’m playing as a smaller character, but then I feel like I’m getting lasered by people like 300m away.” Loba players wondering why they’re getting smashed in the game could have run into the hitbox issues too. If there are persistent reports caused by the bug, then expect Respawn to take a closer look at the problem soon.

Loba’s Heirloom has special animations for doors and more in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Loba’s Heirloom has special animations for doors and more in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a set of unique animations for Loba’s Heirloom, including one that activates when the Translocating Thief breaks down doors. The recently released Beast of Prey Collection Event finally introduced Loba’s Garra de Alanza War Fan Heirloom to the game. As always, Respawn has knocked it out of the park with the mythic cosmetic, including countless special interactions for Loba players to discover. While the majority of these animations can be seen with the click of a button, others are less common, and only happen occasionally. Well, luckily, the community has already captured clips of these rare animations, with one of them activating during a sprint and another while breaking down doors. All of Loba’s rare Heirloom animations in Apex Legends As expected, Loba’s War Fan Heirloom has a special animation for breaking down doors in the Outlands that only activates once in a while, so you’ll have to keep an eye out for it if you own Garra de Alanza. Luckily, Apex YouTuber The Gaming Merchant captured the interaction in-game, and although it’s quick, it’s definitely worth seeing. Instead of using her fan, Loba grasps her Wolf Cane with both hands and smashes the door with an over-the-shoulder strike. On top of her special door break animation, Loba of course has a rare melee interaction that can only be activated when she’s sprinting. Even then, it’s extremely rare and can take a long time to trigger, so make sure you’re meleeing constantly while on the run if you want to see this animation in-game. Instead of using her fan, the Translocating Thief pulls out Revenant’s head and bonks her opponents with his skull. With Loba’s War Fan, Respawn has once again raised the bar for Heirlooms in the future, especially when it comes to special animations. The question is, which lucky Legend will finally be receiving an Heirloom in the next Collection Event in Season 15?
