  • Apex Legends leaks reveal first look at Loba’s brutal new finishers – Dexerto

Apex Legends leaks reveal first look at Loba’s brutal new finishers Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players may have finally gotten their first look at Loba’s finishing moves, and if the animations data mined out of the code are anything to go off, the Translocating Thief could be one of the most brutal characters yet. Loba is on her way to Apex Legends. At this point, it’s a matter of when, not if, the young wolf will arrive in-game. We’ve already seen animations for her tactical ability. Teasers for the new legend may have already begun too. Her assumed cameo in Revenant’s trailer all but confirmed her story would be based around bloodsoaked revenge. Now a number of data mined leaks, focused around her two finishing moves, may have revealed how brutal she really is. ‘Point Blank’ and ‘Stomp’ — Loba’s finishers There’s only one real reaction to the two leaked animations found in the code by popular data miner Shrugtal — ouch! While there’s no Loba involved in the animations yet (there’s no executor side of the finishers, unfortunately) you can still tell how they’re going to play out. Shrugtal loaded up each victim animation with Wraith as a placeholder. The first, titled “Point Blank,” depicts the defeated opponent crouched motionless. After a moment, they look up at where Loba would be standing — with a gun, no doubt — and the Young Wolf executes them with a headshot. The second seems even more brutal too. Dubbed “Stomp” in the code, the leaked animation depicts the victim dragging themselves away from Loba. She then stomps their neck, giving it a final twist to clinch her kill, and their defeat. Once again, all you can say is: ouch! With the release of Revenant, many Apex players thought they’d seen the most merciless character Respawn would release. Looks like that may change again in Season 5 after seeing Loba’s finishers. It is also worth noting these animations are a “work in progress.” With Loba still a ways off, for the time being, there’s every chance Respawn could swap up how they want the finishers to look, Shrugtal told Dexerto after revealing the files. When will Loba finally be released in Apex? Respawn has stuck to their one legend per season release schedule so far, and they don’t look like deviating from that any time soon. There was speculation the devs could shake off the slow rollout of their title’s new roster additions. With the game undergoing a first-time mid-season split, many believed it could also mean a new legend added early. Unfortunately, the swap from World’s Edge to King’s Canyon in the ranked queue came and went, we still don’t have our hands on Loba. What’s more likely, unfortunately, is Respawn is simply planning their standard release plan. If that’s the case, we can expect to finally get a good look at Loba in early May. Season 4 will finish up on Tuesday, May 5, and Season 5 is expected to launch — as per usual — right after Revenant’s season is tied up with a bow. Loba’s finishers aren’t the only things Shrugtal has leaked from the Apex code files recently either. The popular data miner also lifted the lid on the upcoming Bloodhound Town Takeover, which is expected to begin from March 31. There’s a possibility that new event is tied to Apex’s first-ever Easter celebrations, but not everyone is convinced Respawn will be bringing a chocolatey change to the battle royale. On that front, we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Loba players call for buffs to her Tactical in Apex Legends for quicker escapes – Dexerto

Loba players call for buffs to her Tactical in Apex Legends for quicker escapes Respawn EntertainmentLoba players are calling on Respawn to buff the Translocating Theif’s Tactical to make it easier for her to escape and trick her enemies. When it comes to gathering loot and equipping weapons with the best attachments possible, no one on the Apex Legends roster does it better than Loba. The Translocating Theif has access to her Black Market every 120 seconds so her team is never short on supplies. Paired with the mobility of her Tactical, Loba can take out enemies from unsuspecting angles and escape dangerous situations with ease. Despite this, not everyone is satisfied with the power of Loba’s kit, and a lot of mains are calling on Respawn to add some quality of life improvements to her Tactical. These buffs would give Loba players more control when using her teleport and potentially even add the ability to bamboozle opponents. Loba buff idea would give players more control over Tactical Despite the huge changes to Loba’s Tactical in Season 9, a lot of mains still think her bracelet needs improvements. These suggestions mainly revolve around giving players more control over the teleport. Posted on the Apex Legends subreddit on March 4, user Weary-Zookeepergame6 put forward that Loba should still complete her teleport even if she’s downed after it’s been thrown. Although an extremely simple change, this would allow the Translocating Thief to escape danger more easily, and potentially give her squad a chance to revive her in a safe location. The thread even sparked more ideas from other Loba mains, with a lot of players calling on the devs to add a cancel option for the bracelet. That way, Loba players could trick and bamboozle opponents with a fake bracelet throw, or avoid jumping into danger after throwing the teleport into an enemy team. Despite all of these suggestions, Loba is sitting on at a healthy 4% pick rate in Season 12, so it’s unlikely that Respawn will opt to make any changes to her kit. However, if enough of the community calls on the devs to make the improvements, there’s always a possibility these ideas could be implemented in the future.

  • Loba Legendary skins rework is exactly what Apex Legends players want – Dexerto

Loba Legendary skins rework is exactly what Apex Legends players want Respawn EntertainmentLoba has an array of skins in Apex Legends, but one player fixed a light omission from her Legendary cosmetics as they are now – and the proposed changes are perfect to completing her look. Respawn is ramping up for another content drop with the release of the Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence update on August 3. There’s concerns that the upcoming Legend, Seer, will be over-powered upon release, but the studio reassured players that that wasn’t the case. Until the big patch, people have been working out the best fixes for the devs to make before the launch day and a Loba visual update for her Legendary skins has a ton of support from Apex players. One of the most unique aspects of Loba’s design is her wolf-head staff and it’s, unfortunately, the one part of her Legendary skins that doesn’t change. But Reddit user ‘KingQuackster’ came up with concept designs that fixes the problem with unique staffs to compliment the Translocating Thief’s base image. Essentially, Respawn gave Loba varied themes for her Legendaries. There’s one where she’s an ice-queen with Crystalline Perfection, another where she’s armored up for battle in Haute Hoplite, etc. The mock-up keeps those skins intact but with a very noticeable improvement in the aesthetic of her staff, which shows up when you’re using her ultimate ability, Black Market Boutique. While it might be tricky for Respawn to tinker with the staff because of the ult, the Apex community has been really taken by the idea. “For a second there I thought that’s official,” one person said. “It’s crazy that [Loba’s staff] doesn’t change. Fuse’s motherload does change depending on the skin.” People noticed other aspects of a Legend’s skin changes with every cosmetic, but not with Loba’s staff. While Respawn gets intricate with their skins, this is one fine detail Apex Legends players wouldn’t mind seeing them implement.

  • Loba hit with unexpected nerf in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Loba hit with unexpected nerf in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentSupport Legend and high society thief, Loba, has been given an unexpected nerf coming into Apex Legends Season 12, and Loba mains aren’t pleased. Apex Legends Season 12 has kicked off a bang – literally. Introducing Fuse‘s old rival, Mad Maggie to the fray, alongside the all-new Control mode, this season is one of the biggest yet. While recon character, Crypto, has finally received a much-needed buff, Legends like Caustic have been knocked down a few pegs due to their increased dominance on the battlefield. But, an unannounced nerf has hit high society thief turned ruthless killer, Loba, however, and fans of the character aren’t particularly pleased. Loba’s surprise nerf in Season 12 Although its main purpose is collecting loot, one of the many benefits of Loba’s Black Market Boutique ultimate is its ability to block incoming fire and, in some cases, access routes through doors and tight spaces. In Season 12 though, it appears that the latter feature has been removed, meaning that that iconic wolf-headed cane no longer cuts off access through doors by placing the boutique next to them. “LOBA’S ULTIMATE DOESN’T BLOCK DOORS ANYMORE?? @PlayApex WHY?” asks Apex Streamer Karlitaax, with another quickly proving their point by attaching a video in the comments section. LOBA’S ULTIMATE DOESN’T BLOCK DOORS ANYMORE?? @PlayApex WHY — Karlita ♡ (@Karlitaax__) February 10, 2022 As you can see in the video, the doors open through Loba’s ultimate, almost as though it wasn’t there. In past seasons the door would jam and refuse to open, meaning this is either a fix from Respawn, or simply an unexpected bug. It seems like the issue may extend beyond Loba’s abilities, though, as one player notes that the Legend’s longtime rival, Revenant, also can’t use his totem to block doors either. It appears the collision for these items has been changed in the game’s code, either by design or unintentionally. Neither does revs totem at least it didn’t for me today… — Melissa Cozart (@MelissaCozart17) February 11, 2022 Respawn have already had to fix a few unintended nerfs coming into Season 12, including issues with the game’s SMGs. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not this gets added to the list, or if it was implemented intentionally. For now, though, at least you know not to try and block things with Loba’s ult, otherwise it could have been a pretty nasty surprise in the making.

  • How to play Loba in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips & more – Dexerto

How to play Loba in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips & more Respawn Entertainment / DexertoLoba is Apex Legends’ loot queen, picking up every goodie across the Outlands. If you want to pick up the Translocating Thief, follow our guide to the best tips and tricks you need to master. Season 10 of Apex Legends is well underway and although Loba isn’t a top-tier pick in the current meta, she’s definitely strong in the right player’s hands. However, in practice, most players fail to use the legend effectively. She plays very similarly to other lurking Legends, always poking at fights and getting out to safety with her bracelet. Mastering this playstyle will go a long way and it all comes down to positioning in a gunfight. If you’re looking to pick up the Translocating Thief, follow our guide here. How to make use of Loba’s abilities Passive: Eye for Quality Loba’s passive is a very strong looting tool. Eye for Quality allows her to see Epic and Legendary loot through nearby walls. If she gets close enough, she can also ping it for her team. Read More: How to master Horizon in Apex Legends – Her passive, in tandem with her Ultimate (more on that coming later), makes Loba one of the best early-game Legends. Eye for Quality can be used the other way too — if you can’t see good loot in a building, you can go somewhere else, without possibly running into an enemy squad. Tactical: Burglar’s Best Friend Ah, Loba’s bracelet. One of the most contentious abilities in Apex Legends. After the buffs that arrived in Season 9, the jump drive device finally received the love and attention it needed. With the changes allowing her to keep running and gunning while throwing the device, she’s a lot less of a sitting duck than she once was. Nevertheless, Loba’s Tactical is still a strong ability to get high ground or jump into a fight. She throws her bracelet in front, teleporting to it when it lands. It’s on a 29-second cooldown though, so be mindful of teleporting into your demise. Ultimate: Black Market Boutique Loba’s Ultimate, Black Market Boutique, is perfect to get loot in a pinch. You can drop your shop anywhere, and it’ll grant you access to all nearby items. You can only take two items from each shop (and unlimited ammo on top), but it’s on a short cooldown, so don’t be afraid to take bits and pieces. Read More: How to master Gibraltar in Apex Legends – In the early game, you should drop Loba’s Ultimate off cooldown. Loba jumps into the Outlands with 50% charge on the ability, and it has a 120-second cooldown. Be mindful of dropping it later on though, as it can reveal your position with a big pulse when deployed, and trails when you pick up items. Use Eye for Quality to explore supply drops and explosive holds safely Eye for Quality can see into supply drops and explosive holds (on King’s Canyon), and you should use this to your advantage. If you see an item you really want inside these capsules, you can set up a push. However, if it’s not worth your time, you can save yourself the danger. You can play around these to bait enemies if you so choose, but it’s easier to just move on and keep looting up. Loba doesn’t do well stuck in one spot, so you always want to be looking to push somewhere. Use your Bracelet to surprise enemies bunkered in buildings Loba’s bracelet is unique compared to any other movement ability in Apex Legends. You can fire it through little gaps to break into compounds and surprise bunkered-down enemies. Using this in tandem with your team pushing from the outside can make for a great pincer attack. Read More: How to master Wraith in Apex Legends – You do have to be mindful of the entire enemy team turning on you, but if your team is there, you should be fine. Collapse your Black Market Boutique when finished It’s a simple tip, but one some Loba players don’t know. Enemies can use your Black Market after you move on or die. It’ll only despawn when the zone closes in on it, it gets shot down, you spawn another one, or you choose to collapse it. You should always choose the last option after you’re done looting. Collapsing the Black Market means enemies can’t access nearby items after you leave, making their looting a bit harder. In the same vein, if an enemy Loba hasn’t collapsed their Black Market, keep yours in your pocket and abuse their open one to stock up on attachments and ammo! There you have it, that’s everything you need to know about Loba and her handy kit. Coming up to Season 11 hopefully, she can rise up the tier list. Make sure to follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news, guides, and updates.

  • Loba revealed for Apex Legends Season 5 and spotted in-game – Dexerto

Loba revealed for Apex Legends Season 5 and spotted in-game Respawn EntertainmentThe latest episode of the Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands video series, called Legacy of a Thief, has confirmed the previously-leaked Loba as the new character for Season 5. In fact, she’s already in the game! One of the biggest additions that Respawn Entertainment make at the start of a new season in Apex Legends is the introduction of a new character, and Season 5 will be no different. After weeks of leaks, rumors, and speculation, the developers have finally confirmed that the next chapter’s new Legend will be none other than Loba. On April 30, Respawn released a new episode of Stories from the Outlands; called ‘Legacy of a Thief,’ the video introduced Loba and the long and perilous journey she undertook after her parents were murdered when she was a little girl. Fans will remember seeing her for the first time in the Revenant announcement trailer back at the start of Season 4, as it was the Synthetic Nightmare who had done the killings, and it appears that she’s now back for revenge. Right at the end of the video, as she’s about to go to bed, Loba’s unidentified assistant tells her “I found him,” and the look on her face coupled with the large image of Revenant that appears behind her tells you all you need to know. That’s not all! Following this reveal trailer, Respawn went ahead and actually added Loba into Apex Legends. While she’s not playable yet, you can spot her hiding and sneaking around behind the banners on the main lobby screen. This brief glimpse of her is enough to show that she wears a full-white outfit with some gold trim, knee-high boots, and various equipment at her disposal. The nature of the ‘Legacy of a Thief’ video and the way she’s sneaking around in the main menu all seem to confirm that her theme will be all about stealth and thievery. That had already been strongly suggested by the plethora of leaks that had surfaced over the past month, including one that claimed to reveal her full kit of abilities. Whether or not these all end up making it to the game unchanged remains to be seen, but they should at least offer a good idea of what her powers will be in Season 5. Ability 1 – Burglar’s Best Friend – throw a disc and teleport to that location – Ability 2 – Supply for Demand – Hold to choose a type of loot. Reveal that type of loot in the area around you through walls – Ability 3 – Eye for Quality – Loba can see through nearby walls for loot – Ability 4 – Black Market Boutique – Place a device that can steal all nearby loot. – Season 5, called Fortune’s Favor, is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, May 12, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC after it had been delayed by a week from its original release date.

  • Loba comparison shows massive buff to her tactical in Apex Legends Season 9 – Dexerto

Loba comparison shows massive buff to her tactical in Apex Legends Season 9 Respawn EntertainmentLoba mains in Apex Legends have been waiting a long time for their favorite character’s abilities to be more powerful, and Season 9 is finally set to make that a reality. A comparison between her new and old bracelet reveals how big the difference will be. Added in Season 5, Loba’s tactical, Burglar’s Best Friend, was supposed to be a powerful teleport ability, allowing her to zip all over the map in a flash. However, in practice, it’s been a huge letdown. Mainly this is because it simply would not work in many cases, with countless spots on the map telling players that the bracelet could land there. But, even when it did work, Loba’s mobility when using the bracelet was very limited. This changes too in the Season 9 ‘Legacy’ update. Loba’s tactical: Old vs New Apex Legends YouTuber Coffee ASAP has shown off the difference that Respawn have made to Loba’s mobility when throwing her tactical. Instead of only being able to walk while using it, Loba can move at full speed – which includes being able to slide. And, once the bracelet has landed, and Loba has transported, she will be able to continue moving at full speed, rather than being slowed to a walk. It’s not all good news for Loba though, as her Ultimate has also been nerfed, with a longer cooldown. But, considering it was one of the shortest cooldowns for any ultimate before, an extra 30 seconds isn’t too disastrous. As long as Loba’s bracelet is more reliable, which from our playtest it certainly was, then Loba mains should definitely be in for a resurgence in the new season. Apex Legends Legacy update goes live on May 4, and brings with it the new Legend Valkyrie, the new Bocek Bow weapon, and a brand-new 3v3 mode, Arenas.

  • Loba abilities revealed in Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer – Dexerto

Loba abilities revealed in Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have officially released the full trailer for Apex Legends Season 5, giving fans a look at upcoming character Loba as she hunts for Revenant, the Synthetic Nightmare who killed her family. As always, a new season of Apex Legends brings a brand-new character for players to sink their teeth into, and for Season 5 Respawn have decided to go with Loba, a character who has been mentioned in the game’s files for most of its lifespan, but had never officially made an appearance inside the battle royale. That all changed with the release of the first Season 5 teaser back on April 30, ‘Legacy of a Thief,’ and since Loba has been spotted in the game’s menus, seemingly keeping an eye on what’s going on around King’s Canyon as the game prepares for her imminent arrival to the game. The storyline between Revenant and Loba actually dates back to Season 4 and the introduction of the simulacrum, who was seen murdering an entire family after realizing that Hammond Robotics and the Syndicate had turned him into a robot. Only one member of the family was spared, a young girl who watched the entire incident unfold, and grew up to become Loba, now determined to take down Revenant once and for all, and avenge her family who he brutally murdered. Throughout the early Season 5 teasers, Loba has been hunting down the machine, following him to Kings Canyon where he’s been sent while they try to figure out how to deactivate him permanently. Skulltown destroyed? The trailer ends with Loba facing off against her nemesis, but as she’s joining the games, is putting off her revenge for a bit. After all, they might need to be on the same team somehow. The trailer also appeared to show some significant map changes, with what looks like the destruction of Skulltown. Apex Legends Season 5 Launch trailer Loba’s abilities In the trailer, we finally get a look at what she is capable of in the Apex Games. Like the leaks suggested, she will be able to teleport, using her special tool. Another ability shows her stealing a weapon from an enemy, seemingly also using the teleport ability. We don’t know yet, officially anyway, which is her ultimate and which is her tactical ability. These line-up with the leaked abilities: Burglar’s Best Friend – throw a disc and teleport to that location – Supply for Demand – Hold to choose a type of loot. Reveal that type of loot in the area around you through walls – Eye for Quality – Loba can see through nearby walls for loot – Black Market Boutique – Place a device that can steal all nearby loot. – What else is coming in Apex Legends Season 5? Quests One of the biggest additions in Season 5 is the introduction of Quests, which will act as a new way for players to earn rewards. The official description from Respawn says that players will “hunt for treasure and answers,” with a mysterious promise of rich rewards for those who are successful. How exactly these Quests will work remains unknown, but it’s expected that they will run throughout the season, giving Apex players an overarching objective to work towards over the coming months. Season 5 Battle Pass A new Battle Bass for Season 5: Fortune’s Favor will also be added, with 100 items including Legendary character and weapon skins, Apex Packs, and other cosmetic items up for grabs to those who choose to purchase it. Respawn also teased that “new Battle Pass content” would also be making a debut this season, but what that could be remains unknown. Ranked Series 4 & Map Rotation A new season means a new Ranked Series, which will be the fourth running of the game’s competitive playlist, designed to test your skills and see where you rank among other competitors. Just like last season, the Ranked Series will be split in half, with the action shifting from World’s End back to Kings Canyon at some point in the next few months. Apex Legends Season 5 will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on Tuesday, May 12.

  • Another Apex Legends ban wave just hit and the hackers are pretty upset – Dexerto

Another Apex Legends ban wave just hit and the hackers are pretty upset A large number of 50 million players in the space of a month, showing how quickly player’s latched on to the battle royale title. With the incredible number of players jumping onto the game, it’s no surprise that a portion of players were attempting to cheat in search of a victory in King’s Canyon. What did Respawn do to combat Apex Legends cheaters? Over the past few weeks, Apex Legends players have been complaining about the frequency with which they were running into players using hacks or cheats to give themselves an advantage in the game. In response, Respawn Entertainment released the v1.1 update on April 3 that included fixes and improvements designed to specifically take aim at those attempting to cheat – and appear to have issued a large number of bans to those who had been partaking in these activities, which violates the rules of Apex Legends. How did Apex Legends hackers take their bans? Unsurprisingly, not particularly well. In screenshots taken from an Apex Legends cheat forum, a number of players who have used the ‘Chams’ cheating program can be seen complaining that Respawn Entertainment have banned their account, and have moved quickly to remove any new accounts they may create. Read More: When does Apex Legends Season 2 start? – A Reddit user named ‘terere’ managed to gather a couple of images from the forum that shows their reaction. Others were upset after appearing to spend money on the program they used to cheat, with one lamenting that it was “$27 well spent”. It appears that the game is able to detect whether the Chams cheat program is installed regardless of if the program is online or not. How can players report Apex Legends cheaters? For players who want to report Apex Legends cheaters, Respawn made it a lot easier to do so with recent updates. Before, players would have to go through the EA website to file reports against players and cheats. While the lack of built-in reports has caused frustration among Apex Legends fans up to that point, an in-game reporting function has been added in with recent updates and update 1.1 allowed players to select ‘Cheat’ or ‘Other’ when reporting players on PC. The current number of banned players is currently unknown, but it’s possible that Respawn Entertainment will release the statistics.

  • Little-known Apex Legends tip stops enemies pushing when you’re downed – Dexerto

Little-known Apex Legends tip stops enemies pushing when you’re downed Respawn/EA[jwplayer ePrNLj8A]An Apex Legends player has shared a little known tip that can help you get a revive off while also denying enemies who are trying to chase up ziplines. In most battle royales, you’re only really useful to your team when you’re on your feet, grabbing loot, or shooting at enemies. Though, in Apex Legends, you can also pull your weight even after you’ve been knocked down. You can distract enemies for your teammate, block shots with your shield, give callouts – either on the mic or ping system – and block doors so enemies can’t push in. However, you can expand on the door blocking by blocking off vertical ziplines – meaning enemies are sent right back down to the ground. It was pointed out by Reddit user I-KIA, who showcased a clip from a recent game on World’s Edge. They were downed in one of the hanging train cars above Train Yard but immediately used it to their advantage. As the enemies were trying to push up towards their team, they sat on the small ledge the ziplines heads up to and denied the enemies a chance to push. Each time they used the zipline, they were bumped back down to the bottom. It might be a small, situational tip to use, but as I-KIA showed, it can annoy enemies who get greedy and just keep on pushing. Plus, it could also give your teammate a chance to revive you while the enemies keep on dropping back to the ground. Of course, when it comes to doing it at Train Yard, you do leave yourself hanging over the small ledge so enemies could easily back off, take aim, and try to finish you from the ground instead of pushing repeatedly. Either way, though, by keeping the tip in your back pocket, you are sure to annoy an enemy or two who think they’ve got an easy elimination.

Lirik’s team hilariously struggle with revives in Apex Legends Lirik and his team struggled with revives during a match of Apex Legends, but luckily for them their opponents struggled even more. Popular Twitch streamer Saqib ‘Lirik’ Zahid was playing Apex Legends when he got knocked in a frantic skirmish. What should have been an easy revive quickly turned into a calamity of hilarious errors from Lirik’s teammates and the enemies they faced. Lirik’s friend wasted valuable time figuring out that the execute enemy button is the same as the revive teammate button, the context of who you are standing over will activate the proper command. Unfortunately, there were three downed players in the room and Lirik’s teammate – in a state of panic – got the guessing game hilariously wrong. As Lirik laid on the ground helplessly waiting for a revive from his teammate, both players were expecting a rush from the remaining enemy. Being caught in an execution animation would not be a good way to start a gunfight, but for some reason, the arriving enemy ignored Lirik’s team. In what must have been frantic coms from his own teammates about picking up badges for revive, the enemy player strangely paid no attention to their surroundings. • How to see your Lifetime Stats in Apex Legends Season 2 – Dexerto

How to see your Lifetime Stats in Apex Legends Season 2 Respawn EntertainmentThe long-awaited launch for the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass is bringing swarms of content to the game, but it’s also letting players take a comprehensive peek into their lifetime stats. Players have been thirsty for fresh content, and the Respawn Entertainment developers have responded in kind with a trove of new ways to unlock in-game items as well as new cosmetics in their Battle Pass. But along with all the new bells and whistles coming to Apex Legends in Season 2, the devs are also giving the number crunchers in their fan base a detailed look at how they’ve faired so far in King’s Canyon. In order to access a player’s Stats Page, while in the lobby they’ll have to hover over their names and click to inspect it. Upon doing so players can look at the rundown to “stats for each season and Ranked Series.” At first glance it seems like stats such as Lifetime Kills, Deaths, K/DR, Lifetime Damage Dealt, Highest Damage, and Damage average among others will be readily available for players to examine. Respawn is building on their Stats Page Moreover, it seems the Stats Page will let players sift through different eras in their careers such as what was accomplished specifically in Season 2 Battle Charge. While there will be players who want different kinds of stats readily available, the devs said that the page is a work in progress and might take highly suggested recommendations into consideration. “We’re sure you all will have feedback on other stats you’d like to see here,” Respawn Community Manager ‘Jayfresh’ said. “What we’re shipping with Season 2 is just the start and we’re planning to build on it. We won’t promise anything but definitely let us know what other stats you want shown after you’ve played around with it.” Unfortunately there will be some key stats that won’t exactly be up to date since “until [they] added the feature, [things like assists weren’t] being counted.” But the devs are looking for ways to see if the can retroactively figure them in later. • Kings Canyon update in Apex Legends teased in Lifeline Town Takeover – Dexerto

Kings Canyon update in Apex Legends teased in Lifeline Town Takeover Apex fans have been treated to plenty of new content thanks to the Awakening Collection Event. However, a potential hint at what’s still to come might be teasing some big changes to Kings Canyon. The Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event has just started and will be running until July 5. The event introduces some brand new and exclusive cosmetics for players to get their hands on as well as giving them the chance to relive and re-experience the fan-favorite control mode. One location that is already garnering attention is the Lifeline’s Clinic. Located between Gardens and Grow Towers in the northeast corner of Olympus, Lifeline’s Clinic will be a Town Takeover location filled with special features and high-tier loot. Typically, video game devs will sprinkle in easter eggs or hidden information that, more often than not, will be hinting at future content. For a game like Apex, hint-dropping has almost become an expectation and now, Respawn appears to have followed through in an exciting way. Potential hints at future Kings Canyon changes Gamers have already noticed something extra special about this Lifeline’s Clinic location. More specifically, that headlines on some stray magazines in the area may be hinting at some big changes for King’s Canyon while also sprinkling in some content about the moon of Boreas, Seer’s home planet. In particular, a magazine with the headline “Salvage operation complete” followed by the sub-heading, “say hello to Kings Canyon’s new relic,” has been pointed out by fans and is getting a lot of attention online. Its also mentions something about a moon. Reminds me of that new moon map thats being worked on pic.twitter.com/jSxhU1cGU5 — Name cannot be blank (@MagicPocketExp) June 21, 2022 From this, Apex players have begun to theorize that the “new relic” could be the giant skull from old Skull Town that has been hanging just outside of Salvage since season five. Time will tell what exactly they’re hinting at, but for now, fans can keep their thinking caps on as they continue to search for more hidden bits of information in the latest update.

  • Lifeline voice actor surprises Apex Legends fans with perfect anniversary gift – Dexerto

Lifeline voice actor surprises Apex Legends fans with perfect anniversary gift Mela Lee, Twitter / RespawnApex Legends voice actors are among the most active members of the game’s community, and the lady behind Lifeline – Mela Lee – made somebody’s day with a perfect present. With so many popular characters in the free-to-play title, it’s no surprise that a team of 18 people (if you include all active legends and the Apex Games announcer) make up the voice acting squad. Apex Legends fans have had a lot to celebrate in 2021 so far in terms of anniversaries and historic content, with the Anniversary Collection in February, and loads of Titanfall inspired content for Season 9, Legacy. Two fans in particular, though, were celebrating their very own anniversary together and Mela Lee stepped in to give their significant a surprise on the big day. Lifeline voice actor sends anniversary message On June 4, a video appeared on the Apex subreddit that showed Lifeline’s voice actor delivering a short message. It was uploaded by user ZombieAteMyBrah, who seemed absolutely over the moon by the gesture. They posted: “My SO [significant other] surprised me with a special message from LIFELINE for our 1 year anniversary. I AM IN TEARS!” During the clip, Mela jumped between a number of the character’s classic voice lines to congratulate the pair on their milestone, ending with: “You and me, we got this!” Lifeline is one of the most popular in Season 9, shooting up in our Legends Tier List after a number of buffs in the Legacy update. And this post might have just made the lady behind the character a little more popular as well, as fans poured out love into the comments section for the gesture. She made their day.

  • Respawn explain why Lifeline rework in Apex Legends must keep “ease of play” – Dexerto

Respawn explain why Lifeline rework in Apex Legends must keep “ease of play” Respawn EntertainmentEver since Respawn took Lifeline’s revive shield away, Apex Legends players have called for a more extensive rework of the game’s resident healer. The developers have heeded this call somewhat, but said any further changes to the medic must keep her “ease of play” for all. As far as legend reworks go in Apex Legends, Lifeline is arguably the most requested. Her kit, while powerful in the early days of the game, is now more dated than ever. There’s only so many buffs Respawn can make to her Care Package ultimate and Healing Drone without becoming too oppressive. The removal of the revive shield passive, a hallmark of the medic, started a chorus of rework ideas and complaints about her place in the meta. Respawn have heeded a lot of those calls, and have actively looked at what a new Lifeline could have in Apex Legends. But there’s one thing the developers won’t compromise on, and that’s how simple Lifeline’s kit is. “We’ve seen a lot of suggestions from the community on ideas for Lifeline,” developer Devan McGuire said. “It’s awesome to see how passionate people are to show her more love and give her more power! “Lifeline is one of our most popular and approachable Legends and people gravitate to her for her style, her role and how easy it is to understand her abilities.” It’s no wonder why new players pick up the medic in spades when starting out in the Apex Games. She’s the only healer, for starters, which can come in handy for those first few games. Her kit is also very easy to understand as a result, as it’s similar to other characters in other games. As for making her a competitively viable pick at the highest ranks, that’s a harder story. She’s hardly played in ALGS — outside of mispicks like Fnatic at Champs. The developers do want to make her viable at the top level, but that cannot be achieved by adding complexity. “If we end up looking into additional Lifeline buffs or reworks, we will be considering angles that preserve her Combat Medic identity, ensure that she has her own playstyle that doesn’t overlap directly with other Legends or their abilities and solves problems with her current kit to improve her competitive viability without sacrificing her ease of play,” McGuire continued. “This approach is something we like to do with all our Legends to ensure that any change we make answers the problem correctly without causing new issues in the game, or sacrificing the identity of the Legend itself.” As for when Lifeline mains can expect changes for the medic? Respawn didn’t give a definitive date, but they’re aware of the passion from the community and are constantly looking to improve on her kit to hit those fantasies.

  • Lifeline reaches new Apex Legends low as healer’s play rate plummets in Season 13 – Dexerto

Lifeline reaches new Apex Legends low as healer’s play rate plummets in Season 13 RespawnLifeline’s pick rate has reached an all-time low in Apex Legends Season 13, just weeks after Respawn confirmed she wouldn’t be getting any changes this season despite the decline. It’s been a while since Lifeline was considered a tier-one pick in Apex Legends. The decision to remove her res shield in Season 9 proved to be a fatal nerf, and her pick rate has been in a sharp decline ever since. Despite that, though, the developers confirmed she wouldn’t be getting any changes in Season 13. As a result, her pick rate has plummeted even more, and it’s gotten to the point where it’s reached a historic low. According to data collected by Apex Legends Status, Lifeline’s pick rate is currently sitting at 3.9%. It’s much lower than when it peaked at 9.5% in Season 9, and it’s the lowest it’s ever been since the game launched. Of course, it doesn’t mean she’s the least popular pick on the roster. She still scrapes in the top ten most picked legends. However, if the current trajectory continues, she’ll be overtaken by Loba, Fuse, Rampart, and Gibraltar, and drop further down the list. As it stands, Lifeline’s heal drone isn’t particularly effective. It pales compared to some of the other utility now in the game like Newcastle’s Retrieve The Wounded ability, which lets him drag downed allies to safety. So, the best thing she’s got going for her at the moment is her ultimate, Care Package. However, while it can be useful, it isn’t enough to convince players to pick her. It will be interesting to see how Respawn handles the situation.

  • Lifeline and Loba reportedly buffed in secret Apex Legends Season 15 bins change – Dexerto

Lifeline and Loba reportedly buffed in secret Apex Legends Season 15 bins change Respawn EntertainmentIt’s not in the patch notes, but Lifeline and Loba have gotten quite the buff in Apex Legends Season 15. A change to blue bins means Support Legends will get special access while the rest of the roster misses out. The blue bins dotted across the Apex Games, named Support Bins officially, are known for their slightly-rarer loot and plenty of medical goods. There’s been a special interaction with Lifeline since launch too, allowing the Support Legend to open a special compartment with more loot. However, that’s all changing in Apex Legends Season 15 as Respawn reportedly changed how the blue bins work. According to early footage from the November 1 update, Support Bins can only be opened by Support Legends. At the time of publication, this limits it to Lifeline and Loba. It’s unclear if Loba will get access to the same secret compartment as Lifeline, though. For those two Legends, it’s quite a significant buff. If you drop in an area with plenty of blue bins and don’t have one of these characters, you’ll miss out on a large quantity of loot. It might encourage teams to pick up a Support Legend just to not miss out. However, it’s important to note these changes were missed in the patch notes, meaning they could have been dropped between footage being filmed and the update actually going live. This blue bins change is not the only one Respawn failed to mention ahead of Apex Legends Season 15. There are a couple of new pings on the wheel, including a “Use Our Abilities Here” marker as well as “Enemy Audio”. As for what was actually included in the patch notes, there’s obviously the release of new Legend Catalyst as well as the Broken Moon map. A number of weapon adjustments were made including the return of the Mastiff to ground loot, nerfs to the Volt SMG, and more. There were no Legend changes, however.

  • Lifeline hit with major changes in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy – Dexerto

Lifeline hit with major changes in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy Respawn EntertainmentConfirming previously reported changes from developers, we got our hands on Lifeline during a Season 9 playtest, and there are some major buffs and nerfs to discuss. The biggest change, and the one that attracted a lot of ire from players when developers first revealed it, is the removal of the res shield. Although Lifeline still has her combat revive passive, allowing her to continue fighting while her D.O.C drone gets the res, there is no longer a shield to protect the downed teammate. This means you’ll need to be much more careful with where you choose to revive teammates as Lifeline. But, as Respawn acknowledged, this change ‘guts’ Lifeline, so they have given her some buffs too. Lifeline Ultimate buff in Season 9 Lifeline’s ultimate, the care package, has had a major cooldown reduction. In our testing, the cooldown is now only 300 seconds (5 minutes), rather than 360. A full minute less. Also, the Ultimate itself will contain guaranteed upgrades to your kit. For example, if you have a purple shield, the care package will drop a gold one. Another buff to Lifeline is the removal of Low Profile. Low Profile has been removed from Apex Legends totally, meaning Wraith, Lifeline and Wattson no longer take 5% more damage from bullets. Whether these buffs are enough to balance out the nerf of removing the res shield remains to be seen. Overall, we’d say Lifeline is a bit weaker, just because of how powerful the res shield was. But, ultimately, Respawn wanted to make her less frustrating to play against, and these changes will almost certainly achieve this. Apex Legends Season 9 will launch on May 4. The update will introduce new Legend Valkyrie, the Bocek Bow weapon, a new-look Olympus, and more.

  • Lifeline gets massive buff in Apex Legends Awakening Collection event – Dexerto

Lifeline gets massive buff in Apex Legends Awakening Collection event Respawn EntertainmentLifeline mains can celebrate a new buff for the character in Apex Legends Awakening Collection event, with changes coming to her Combat Revive, Heal Drone, and Care Package. The next Collection event is set to kick off on June 21, bringing with it a Lifeline Town Takeover and a complete rework of her abilities. A faster Care Package cooldown is among the changes confirmed by Respawn Entertainment in a blog post. Other changes fans can expect to see when the update drops is a brand-new Valkyrie heirloom, making her the 14th Legend to receive one in the Apex Games. Lifeline buff explained: Apex Legends Awakening Collection event The following changes have been implemented, and they are bound to be popular for Lifeline mains: Moved revive cancel option from Lifeline to the player that’s getting revived. – – D.O.C. Heal Drone Healing pool increased from 150 to infinite (still lasts 20s). – Doubled the healing radius. – – Cooldown reduced from 5 minutes to 3.5 minutes. – The weapon attachment panel now comes with a Shield Battery instead of two Shield Cells. – No blue beam on initial drop (will still show up after the Care Package lands). – – Other balance updates have resulted in further tweaks to crafting and Out of Bounds in general, with Mirage being the only other Legend with notable changes. He can now use decoys from Valk Skydive Re-Deploy, which provides an interesting new combination for players. Whether these changes are enough to satisfy Lifeline mains who feel that Newcastle has stolen their thunder, remains to be seen. However, her pick rate has actually already climbed above the new Season 13 Legend. For more information on the Awakening Collection, check out our hub here.

  • Lifeline finally getting Apex Legends rework in Lost Treasures event – Dexerto

Lifeline finally getting Apex Legends rework in Lost Treasures event Respawn EntertainmentLifeline is set to receive a pretty hefty rework when the Apex Legends Lost Treasure event drops onto live servers early next week, according to the teaser animation revealed in the update’s trailer shown during EA Play Live 2020. The first four seasons of Apex Legends saw each of the release Legends, and the expansion debutants that were added soon after, remain basically the same. Season 5 tipped that on its head, however, with a mega-sized Mirage rework. With the potential for Legends to have their iconic abilities and powers reworked now on the table, Apex players have been begging Respawn to take a look at a few of the battle royale’s other struggling characters, like Octane and Lifeline. Lost Treasures trailer reveals Lifeline rework Those prayers have been answered, at least when it comes to Apex’s popular Combat Medic — Lifeline is set to receive a rework to her healing abilities. We’ve already had a first glimpse at the tweaks too, in the Lost Treasures teaser. In the June 18 video, a Lifeline can be seen rescuing a downed Bangalore teammate. After they start the revive animation, however, the Lifeline steps away from her squadmate, who plugs the D.O.C. Heal Drone in herself. See the new Lifeline mechanic in action here: On the live servers, Lifeline’s passive “generates a shield wall roughly in front of [her]” whenever she revives teammates. The kicker is, like any other Legend in the game, Lifeline has to stay stationary while she’s reviving. Lifeline rework lets her take hands-off approach to healing This new Season 5 rework looks to take away that restriction. This should give Lifeline more freedom to actually fulfil her role as the battle royale’s Combat Medic. The South African healer can now fight back against rushing enemies, all while restoring her squadmates and bringing them back into the fight too. Respawn has yet to officially comment on this rework. They did admit back in May they were “trying things” to try and give Lifeline back some of her original Season 1 power though. They decided to pull the trigger after Mirage’s work success. Lifeline overhaul could make trades to “sidegrade” her If Lifeline is set to receive some tweaks to her Apex Legends ability kit, it lines up with what Respawn lead game designer Carlos Pineda said back on May 15 as well. He suggested the Apex healer would be looked at pretty soon. There could be a few tradeoffs with any rework to Lifeline’s healing though. Pineda admitted Respawn would rather “sidegrade” the character rather than straight boost her stats. This is due to the fact Respawn believes she “does not need a buff at all.” This sidegrade could be based around timings. At the moment, using D.O.C. to help downed allies takes Lifeline four seconds. If she leaves the robot, it may revert to the usual five. She may even lose her fast healing altogether. As mentioned above, Respawn has yet to officially confirm what changes they have in the chamber for Apex’s iconic healer. Keep your eyes peeled for the Lost Treasures patch notes here on Dexerto for the full details next week. The new Apex Legends collection event won’t just be bringing a long-awaited Lifeline rework either — Crypto will be the next Legend to get a Town Takeover, while the old LTM “Armed & Dangerous” is set to make a return too.

  • How to turn Lifeline’s Care Package into a deadly Apex Legends weapon – Dexerto

How to turn Lifeline’s Care Package into a deadly Apex Legends weapon One clever Apex Legends player has found a unique way to turn Lifeline’s Care Package ultimate into a game-winning ability – and you don’t need to grab the loot inside. Anyone who has dove into a match in Kings Canyon knows that selecting a powerful line-up is one of the keys to victory. You do, however, need to strike a balance with the legends abilities in order to swiftly takedown other players. One of the most used legends in-game is Lifeline – the medic. While reviving, she will shield downed players from gunfire and her drone can provide a healing boost on the go. However, there is a brand new way to use her Care Package – and it doesn’t involve claiming whatever loot it decides to drop. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user SergeS2K, showcased a clip from one of their recent games where they were locked in a tense final circle with an opposing squad. With the enemy team hiding in a building, with only one exit, the Redditor’s teammate playing as Lifeline used the opportunity as the perfect chance to break out their ingenious tactic. They called in the Care Package right outside the door – leaving the opponents trapped as the circle closed in on them. While they able to eventually break down the door, the circle had done its damage and made the enemy team soft targets – handing SergeS2K and his teammates an easy victory. The idea clearly impressed members of the subreddit who were quick to praise the tactic – even though it may have seemed a little overkill. “That is pretty impressive,” replied one user. Another, TheSunniestbro, chimed in with an even further clever use for the ability: “You can also use the package to plug up pesky wraith holes if they keep spamming between them. One might say it’s a waste since her wraith holes don’t last forever, but in a pinch it can save a life.” Of course, it’s not going to be a tactic that everyone can pull off considering not every trio opts to hide within a building during the final stages. Despite that, it should be something that sparks even further creative ideas for the ultimate. Who knows, maybe we’ll start seeing Lifeline become the deadliest supporting legend in the game.

  • Lifeline buff idea gives her shield back in Apex Legends but in a new way – Dexerto

Lifeline buff idea gives her shield back in Apex Legends but in a new way Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has developed a Tactical buff idea for Lifeline that brings her shield back in a unique way. Out of all the characters on the Apex Legends roster, Lifeline is the only traditional support class that provides a heal to her teammates. As a result of this, she’s remained a relatively popular pick among players since the game’s release and currently has a 4.3% pick rate in Season 12. Despite this, since the removal of her res-shield back in Season 9, Combat Medic mains have been asking for Respawn to bring it back in a different way that’s more balanced. Well, instead of waiting for the devs to respond, Apex Legends YouTuber Archtux has developed a concept themselves, and it involves reworking Lifeline’s Tactical. Lifeline buff would add a shield to her Tactical Apex Legends YouTuber and modder Archtux has developed a new buff for Lifeline on the R5Reloaded server that gives her Tactical a shield when it’s deployed. Similar to her old res-shield, when Lifeline places down her Passive for a heal, the shield will face the direction she is looking. This allows her to block any incoming projectiles and heal up without the risk of being taken down. While the community has praised the idea, a lot of players have stressed that the shield will need a health bar so it’s balanced. Not only that, a lot of the community have expressed that they think this buff would be perfectly balanced due to Mad Maggie’s arrival in the Outlands. The Rebel Warlord has a Tactical that can puncture through shields, making it easy to take out opponents on the other side. So, similar to Gibraltar, if this change did go through, Maggie would be a direct counter. However, it’s very unlikely Respawn would ever bring the shield back, especially considering Lifeline already has a strong pick rate.

  • Lifeline buff idea brings back iconic shield in Apex Legends with a twist – Dexerto

Lifeline buff idea brings back iconic shield in Apex Legends with a twist Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has developed a buff idea for Lifeline that brings back her iconic Passive, but this time it acts in a similar way to Newcastle’s shield. While Loba and Lifeline fall under the same category in Apex Legends, the Combat Medic is the only true traditional support on the roster. Despite being equipped with a heal for allies, a drone revive, and extra team supplies from her Ultimate, Lifeline mains still miss her iconic shield Passive. Since the removal of her res-shield back in Season 9, Combat Medic mains have been asking the devs to bring it back in a different way that’s more balanced. Well, YouTuber bobz may have found the solution, and it takes inspiration from another legend on the roster. Lifeline buff would bring back her res-shield in Apex Legends The likelihood of Respawn reversing their decision on the removal of Lifeline’s res-shield is extremely low, but bobz believes they’ve found the perfect solution. Similar to Newcastle’s Passive, the buff concept involves re-introducing her shield but instead allowing it to scale based on the Knockdown Shield she has equipped. This would allow Combat Medic mains to upgrade the power of her Passive throughout a match and add another use for Knockdown Shields. Not only that, the res-shield would be a lot more balanced in the early game, as the grey Knockdown would provide very little resistance to gunfire. With Lifeline sitting at a healthy 4.5% pick rate in Season 15, it’s hard to know whether Respawn would consider buffing her. The devs are very cautious about changing characters who are already being used frequently, but this would certainly please a lot of the community. Lifeline players have been calling for the return of the res-shield since its removal, and this could be a balanced way to bring it back into the fold.

  • LG and Alliance defend EA as orgs leave Apex Legends: “They don’t deserve all the heat” – Dexerto

LG and Alliance defend EA as orgs leave Apex Legends: “They don’t deserve all the heat” Joe Brady/ ALGSThe CEO of Alliance and head of Luminosity have come to the defense of EA, after some organizations that left Apex Legends cited the company’s lack of investment in the competitive scene as a major reason for their exit. NRG exited Apex Legends esports on September 15 and the organization, along with its former players, mainly pointed toward EA and Respawn and their lack of investment into their esports scene as a major reason for leaving. “We feel EA/Respawn have not done enough to support orgs and made the tough call to take a step back,” Jaime Cohenca, the Chief Gaming Officer at NRG Esports, said on social media. NRG are among the many established esports organizations that have left Apex Legends esports recently. Team Liquid, Cloud9 and G2 Esports have all left the esport within the past year, albeit without taking shots directly at EA on their way out. Alliance CEO defends EA over handling of Apex Legends esports Orgs that are still in the ALGS have come to defend EA and its handling of Apex Legends on social media after NRG’s comments caused a backlash from fans toward the company. The CEO of Alliance, Jonathan Berg, said he understands that running an org is hard, but that it isn’t just because of EA that these teams had to leave Apex. “EA is far from the worst game dev out there and they don’t deserve all the heat they are receiving in Apex atm. I would love for them to do more for orgs overall but they are honestly investing more into its esport every year,” Berg said. The head of Luminsoty also said he was happy with how EA and Respawn have handled their esports thus far. “I guess I’ll give the opposite take that is on my timeline right now, we’re extremely happy with EA and Respawn’s communication and offerings thus far, Luminosity is 100% committed to remaining in ALGS for Year 4 (and hopefully more),” Alex Gonzalez, the head of Luminosity said on social media. FURIA Esports also issued an update on their future in Apex Legends, implying that they will continue to compete in the esport. The exit of NRG and many other esports organizations comes on the heels of a report about EA and Respawn’s refusal to allow ALGS teams to earn in-game revenue from cosmetics items. Multiple orgs reportedly came together and sent a letter to EA with a proposal around in-game cosmetic money after some previous talks and proposals from the developer’s end. EA soon shut down all negotiations around the matter after the letter was sent. Of the 14 organizations involved in the letter, only five have left the esport so far.

  • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 8 update – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 8 update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has a ton of significant changes in Season 8: Mayhem as Respawn have updated several characters with new buffs and nerfs to Wraith, Octane, Mirage, and a lot more. Respawn have been ramping up to the new chapter of Apex for a long time, and it’s finally culminated into the new character Fuse along with a packed Battle Pass for people to sift through as we jump into the next season. In addition to the changes implemented to several of the weapons in the game, the developers have made tweaks to a good number of characters as well – eight to be exact – all the details of which can be found below. Apex Legends Season 8 character nerfs and buffs Wraith Wraith has experienced the most success throughout the life of Apex, but she does see some changes to her hitbox in Season 8. Respawn is taking some inspiration from Pathfinder’s Season 7 adjustments to help balance the character even further. Wraith’s hitbox is now slightly bigger than before, but it’ll still “stay true to her model.” She will retain the Low Profile passive, with most of the changes coming to body and leg hitbox dimensions. “The fact remains that her win rate continues to be at the very top as it has since day one,” Respawn wrote. “With Season 7 hitbox adjustments to Pathfinder, we were able to control his power without nerfing his kit. We hope to do the same with Wraith.” Rampart From the best to the worst, Rampart hasn’t been doing so well in Apex, according to the devs. The devs are going to increase Sheila’s range of motion from 120° to 180° and bump up her Amped Cover’s health from 1 health point to 45. Respawn said that they’re going to be “keeping a careful eye on this one,” as it pertains to the reactive power of her wall, but something needed to be done to give Rampart more prominence in the game. Horizon While Wraith has historically been the most picked/winningest Legend in the game, Horizon debuted right at the top next to her in Season 7. Respawn sees this as healthy competition, but are giving a slight nerf to her Gravity Lift that will increase the effective cooldown from 21s to 25s (15s cooldown timer will now start when the Gravity Lift disappears). The devs don’t want to completely gut Horizon’s power, though, so they’re going to be monitoring how these changes affect her performance in the game. Octane The job just got a lot easier for Octane players who’ve been trying to master the ‘super jump’ with the Launch Pad since Respawn redid the ultimate’s mechanics to include a consistent way of performing the trick. Hitting the jump pad from a standing position will launch players along a high arc (the speed and trajectory of the old super-jump). – From a crouched position, players will launch along a low arc, meaning they’ll fly lower but farther in the horizontal direction. – This gives Apex players a more straightforward avenue to get the different jumps off, opening the tactical possibilities for everybody, not just those who’ve practiced a lot with this character. Caustic A quality of life change hit Caustic’s Nox Gas in Season 8 now that Respawn are going to clear up any residual fumes on the battlefield once he dies: “All gas now dissipates as soon as Caustic’s team is eliminated.” This means there’s going to be a new target on Caustic’s back since it gives teams an active incentive to eliminate him first in a fight. Crypto Not much has changed with Crypto this time around, but players can no longer stick arc stars to his Surveillance Drone, negating the bomb-delivery service that people have been slightly abusing since it was discovered. Loba Loba’s passive ‘Eye for Quality,’ and by extension her Black Market Boutique, can now take a peek inside unopened Care Packages. The devs have expanded the High Society Thief’s ability to steal the Arena’s loot with the change, making her haul a bit more valuable to team comps. Mirage Mirage’s decoys will officially have footsteps in Apex Legends. Previously this change was announced in the Fight Night patch notes, though the studio admitted the notification went out early and should have been saved for Season 8. Those are the complete changes coming to Apex Legends Season 8 update once the patch officially lands on Tuesday, February 2, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

  • Legend upgrades and new shield system explained for Apex Legends Season 20 – Dexerto

Legend upgrades and new shield system explained for Apex Legends Season 20 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 20 will mark one of the most significant overhauls of the Legends, as well as a total rework of the armor/shields system in Apex. Here’s everything you need to know about Legend upgrades, and how it will interact with shields in Season 20. Respawn, developers of Apex Legends, described this change as “the largest change to Legends since launch”, with every single existing character being granted four total upgrades to their kit. However, these upgrades will be added during the match, and earned by playing, rather than constantly equipped. All Legends’ core abilities remain unchanged. These new upgrades will add or augment the current abilities, although none of them are just a straight-up ‘buff’, like added damage or duration. The upgrades are earned through evo – the same evo points that level up your shield, but this means the shield system itself is also changing. Here’s how it will all work in Apex Season 20. Legend upgrade system explained in Apex Legends Here’s the basics of how the new Legend upgrade system works in Apex: Each Legend has 4 total upgrades available – During the match, there will be two opportunities to pick an upgrade – Examples include modifying a tactical, or adding something new altogether – You gain evo by fighting, as well as by playing your Legend’s class – The two upgrade opportunities will occur in the early to mid game – Gibraltar for example will be able to pick upgrades like “Revive allies to 40 HP” or “Auto reload shotgun on knocks”. You will have to choose which of these upgrades you want to use, before getting another two options with your second upgrade. As you can see, this upgrade system is linked to evo shields, so next, we need to look at how these two systems interact. Also, to clear up any confusion, Respawn confirmed that the upgrade system will be in all modes of Apex, including Ranked and ALGS. Shield changes in Apex Legends Season 20 Starting in Season 20, your armor level is now tied to your upgrades. Armor will no longer be a lootable item, so the only way to level it up is by gaining evo points. You can earn evo in several ways, in addition to just doing damage. A new addition will be evo harvesters, which are stationed at random around the map, and grants evo to your whole squad. There are also evo caches, which are rare items that grant a large amount of evo, but are significantly harder to find. The other way to gain evo is to play your class role, for example, scanning survey beacons. You might be wondering about shield swapping from deathboxes, and don’t worry, the developers at Respawn have thought about this too. Now, enemies will drop ‘shield cores’ in their death box, which can be looted. If the shield core represents a higher level than your current shield, you will get the extra as “overshield”. This is a temporary pool of shield, that once depleted, is gone forever. What about crafting? In Season 20 of Apex Legends, crafting materials are being removed entirely from the game. Instead, replicators will simply be free to use, but are much simplified. They will only serve healing items like med kits, shield batteries, and squadmates’ banners. Crafting will now also be pretty much “instant,” the devs said. Notably, replicators will only be useable once, so pick wisely, as it will be gone after you choose. That’s everything you need to know about the overhaul to the upgrade and armor system in Apex Legends. The new season goes live on Tuesday, February 13.

  • Leakers reveal unreleased Apex Legends skins and banner poses – Dexerto

Leakers reveal unreleased Apex Legends skins and banner poses RespawnData miners have uncovered a variety of unreleased content in Apex Legends, including banner poses and skins, which could be coming soon. Season 2 of Apex Legends is well underway, and although most of the new content comes at the start of the season, players are looking forward to the Iron Crown event coming on August 13. We already know there will be some new skins coming in the event, as they were shown off in the trailer, but leakers have found even more that haven’t been officially revealed yet. New skins were shown off in the Iron Crown event trailer. Leaked Octane skin First, we have a new Octane skin, which, according to leaker @That1MiningGuy who found it, will be a Twitch Prime exclusive. This lines up with what we know about the upcoming Twitch Prime content, as it’s been confirmed that Octane will be the next character to have an exclusive skin. Leaked Octane skin found by @That1MiningGuy. Leaked banner poses The Twitch Prime Octane skin is not all though, as another leaker also uncovered a selection of banner poses in the game files, which have not yet been released. Among them are animated poses for Pathfinder, Wattson and a particularly cool one for Mirage, check them out: There’s no indication from these data mined files when, or indeed if, these cosmetics will be added, but there the Octane skin should at least be within the next couple of months. Season 3 of Apex Legends isn’t expected to launch until around October, meaning there is still a lot of time for Respawn to fill, and hopefully add new content in the build up.

  • Leak reveals details of canceled single-player Apex Legends x Titanfall game – Dexerto

Leak reveals details of canceled single-player Apex Legends x Titanfall game EA/RespawnA reliable leaker has revealed more details about EA’s canceled single-player game, set within the Apex Legends and Titanfall universe. One of the biggest battle-royale games out right now, Apex Legends, was spawned off the popular Titanfall franchise that EA launched in 2014. With two successful Titanfall games holding many fans at their TVs, hope for a third title waned as the years went on without any news up until the launch of Apex Legends in 2019. Only recently was it revealed by a leaker that EA had been working on a new single-player experience focused on various Apex Legends within the universe. A Bloomberg article was soon posted that went into further detail about the game’s cancellation. The article goes on to say: “The canceled project, code-named TFL or Titanfall Legends, was a single-player game set in the universe shared by the Apex Legends and Titanfall games.” Details leaked for canceled Titanfall Legends game Since then, leaker Jeff Grubb has spilled the beans on what the project was going to include, with Apex Legends characters playing a big role in the campaign. During a Giant Bomb live stream on Twitch, Grubb leaked a number of details. He said: “Titanfall Legends was not Titanfall 3, because in a lot of people’s minds I think Titanfall 3 was going to be a new, standalone game with a single-player campaign and multiplayer, and they could just never do that again after Apex Legends changed the calculus on all of those things. “In two weeks from now Apex Legends is going to get team deathmatch, and that was always part of a plan to turn Apex Legends into this platform where you could get all kinds of different shooter experiences from an expanded Apex Legends / Titanfall world. “Titanfall Legends was always supposed to slot in as part of that… Titanfall Legends would be a single-player campaign inside of this platform, in the same way Call of Duty works where you get Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone is right there as well.” Fans would have played as Blisk from the Titanfall series and met various Apex Legends throughout the campaign, giving the player new powers. Inspired by Doom Eternal in its scope, the game would have been a massive tie-in between Apex Legends and Titanfall. As EA has made roughly over $2 billion in revenue from Apex Legends, it’s safe to say that the game won’t be going anywhere soon. For fans hoping for a potential Titanfall 3 in any form, we now know that wasn’t the canceled project, but it looks unlikely to be on the agenda any time soon.

  • Leaker finds new Apex Legend mode that will let you play Solo or Duo, with a catch – Dexerto

Leaker finds new Apex Legend mode that will let you play Solo or Duo, with a catch Respawn EntertainmentSince day one of Apex Legends, there has been one request from almost every player – a solo mode. A new leak suggests something could be in the works that will allow solo play, but it’s not as straightforward as you might expect. With every other top battle royale game like Fortnite, PUBG and Blackout all offering the option to play solo, Apex is rather unique in that it forces players to team up in threes, even if you are searching for a game by yourself. The game is designed specifically with this team size in mind, with many of the legends’ abilities tailored for team-based gameplay, but fans are eager for a solo mode. You might finally be able to drop in to Kings Canyon solo. On July 30, developers Respawn Entertainment teased that “one of the most fan-requested features since launch” was coming to Apex Legends in the next in-game event, with the speculation being that it was a solo mode. That may in fact be the case, although not quite how players may have hoped or expected, as infamous leaker That1MiningGuy has uncovered a new setting called ‘no fill’. This setting will work like a checkbox which you can select before entering a match, and will stop you being given two random teammates. It will also, according to the leaker, presumably match you only with other ‘no fill’ players – unless it is struggling to fill the lobby, in which case larger teams may be added. This means it’s not strictly a solo/duo mode, as there would be potential for teams of three to get in, if the game was struggling to fill the match to the full 60 players. However, provided there were enough no fill solo players queueing up, for all intents and purposes, it would be just like a solo mode. The same goes for duo, if you and a friend party up but enter the match with ‘no fill’ selected. No fill is used in other battle royale games too, usually in four-player squad modes, if you had a team of three for example, you may opt to play no fill, meaning the game will not give you a random fourth teammate. It’s unknown when, or if for that matter, this option will be added to the game. It may come in the next Season 2 event, if this was in fact what was being teased, or perhaps it’s still in development, and it’s appearance in the game files might not necessarily mean it’s coming soon.

  • Leaked survival item for Apex Legends would make respawning teammates easy – Dexerto

Leaked survival item for Apex Legends would make respawning teammates easy Respawn EntertainmentA leak has showcased the “Remote Banner Recovery” survival item that would make respawning teammates much easier in Apex Legends. Respawning teammates in Apex Legends can be a tough task, especially if you’ve lost a gunfight and you’re looking to retrieve your allies’ banners. Revisiting friendly loot boxes comes with severe risks, as a lot of squads will camp the area until they know the revive countdown has timed out. This often results in players leaving their squadmates behind in the hopes that they can survive for longer and potentially wait out a top spot. Well, it turns out the devs may be developing a solution, as a leak showcasing the “Remote Banner Recovery” survival item has been found. Banner Recovery survival item leaked by Apex insider Reliable Apex Legends dataminer and YouTuber iLootGames has showcased a leak from an insider that revolves around a new survival item. The “Remote Banner Recovery” device makes it possible to collect teammates’ banners after they’ve gone down without having to visit their loot boxes. This would not only add an extra level of safety for those who are looking to make a comeback in the match, but it may also help to prevent players from leaving instantly after they’ve been eliminated. With the knowledge that their squadmates do not have to risk stepping back into danger, there’s a chance it would encourage competitors to wait out the spectate screen for a potential respawn. iLootGames does reveal that this is not a new insider leak and that they’ve been holding onto this information for a while. As a result, they note that there’s a chance the “Remote Banner Recovery” survival item has been scrapped, but there’s always a possibility Respawn is just waiting for the right time to release it. For now, it’ll just be a case of waiting to see if the devs announce the item, as it would certainly be an interesting addition to the Outlands.

  • Leaked ‘Recruit’ mode in Apex Legends might let you play solo – but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Leaked ‘Recruit’ mode in Apex Legends might let you play solo – but there’s a catch Data miners have been digging through the Apex Legends game files following the update which went live on February 19, and have found more clues about the leaked ‘Recruit’ mode. Currently, there is only one single game mode available in Apex Legends, but this isn’t expected to be the case for long, as Respawn will be keen to keep the game fresh, and players are asking for more ways to play. Unlike other battle royales, the only game mode currently available forces players to team up in squads of three, with no solo or duo option available – but these have been big requests. Game files have been found by data miner @RealApexLeaks which appear to give new details on the ‘recruit’ mode in Apex Legends, which might (partly) solve this problem of no solo mode. It is believed that this mode will allow teams to ‘recruit’ new players to their team by reviving them, and these new files hint that it will be possible for players to enter this mode solo, with the files including commands like ‘solo_mode_ingame_presentation’. There is also a 30 second bleed out timer described, so this is presumably how long you will have to recruit a downed player to your team. Perhaps players will enter the match as a solo player, added to one of the teams of 20 and then be recruited to teams if they are put down and revived. This would certainly be a unique twist on the traditional battle royale mode. Previous details of the recruit mode can be found below, which suggest that each team would consist of 20 members, with three teams making up the full 60 player lobby. LEAK: New Recruit Mode. It’s something like if you revive a player, they join your team. It’s basically like you’re recruiting people into a team. Each team would consist of 20 members and 3 teams max. Last team alive wins. (via @ApexLBR)#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsleaks pic.twitter.com/newgiRxMsD — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 18, 2019 Players should be accustomed to playing with random teammates in Apex Legends already, and the brilliant ping system helps make it a seamless experience, even if players aren’t using game chat. There’s no indication of when this mode will be available, and it’s possibly still in development, but since new files have been added with the February 19 update, it looks like progress is being made. Apex players who are getting a little burnt out on the standard mode should have plenty to look forward to.

  • Leaked Mirage Finisher in Apex Legends pays tribute to Batman’s Joker – Dexerto

Leaked Mirage Finisher in Apex Legends pays tribute to Batman’s Joker MokeySniper / BatmanAn unreleased Finisher move for Mirage has been found in the Apex Legends game files, and many are convinced that it’s meant to pay tribute to the iconic Joker character from the 1989 Batman film. Finishers are animations in Apex Legends that involve each Legend performing a cinemtic execution on a downed enemy player as a way to eliminate them stylistically. Each Legend has its own set of Finishers in the game, one of which is available as the default, and the rest can either be purchased from the in-game store or unlocked via loot boxes. Unreleased Mirage Finisher found in game files On April 28, a data-miner who goes by ‘mnkymnk’ on Reddit posted a video of what he claimed was an unreleased Finisher move for the Mirage. The animation features Mirage doing several moves in front of the downed enemy player, while shooting his weapon several times throughout the whole sequence. Here is another look at the leaked Finisher, this time featuring one of the Mirage’s decoys also participating in the execution. Tribute to Joker Upon seeing this leaked Finisher move on Reddit, fans of the 1989 Batman film immediately recognized it to be identical to the moves that Joker does when performing an execution during the iconic “You can call me Joker” scene. The two sets of actions look so similar to each other, it would be hard to believe that the Apex Legends version was not influenced by that scene in any way. In fact, you can be the judge yourself, by viewing a clip of the scene from the 1989 film below, which starred American actor Jack Nicholson as Joker. Action starts at 1:25 mark for mobile users For those that still may be doubting the connect, you simply need not to look any further than the actual file for the Finisher move found in the Apex Legends game files, which was supposedly named ‘joker_execution.’ The specifics of the data-mining of this file, and other relevant information, can be found in the video below. When will this Mirage Finisher get released? Now that we know this Joker-inspired Mirage finisher exists in the game files, the only question that remains is when it will be released. While Respawn can pretty much release it any time they want, the most likely target date is probably the start of Season 2, as this Finisher could be part of the rewards offered in the new Battle Pass.

  • Leaked Apex Legends weapon finally spotted in Season 4 trailer – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends weapon finally spotted in Season 4 trailer Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have identified a new weapon in the Season 4: Assimilation trailer that might be coming to the game soon. The major focus of the new trailer released on January 30 was Revenant, who has now been confirmed as a Legend for Season 4 after murdering previously-announced character Forge. New Legends aren’t the only thing that a new season typically brings, however, with most also introducing new weapons for players to pick up. A new ‘Sentinel’ sniper has already been confirmed for Season 4, but players are speculating that another new weapon could be on its way after Titanfall 2’s Sidewinder was spotted in the trailer. Near the start of the trailer, which follows Revenant as he fulfils a contract to kill a thief, the character – who sees himself as a man, rather than a machine – trails his hand across a table, underneath which is a weapon. As identified by Reddit user Lemondrawp, this weapon appears to be the Sidewinder, a micro rocket launcher found in Titanfall 2. The Sidewinder was designed as an anti-Titan weapon in the Titanfall universe, so it’s not too surprising that it wasn’t among the original arsenal to be brought over to Apex, but with it having been deliberately placed in the Apex Season 4 trailer it seems that could be about to change. Animations for the Sidewinder, along with several other weapons, were discovered in the game’s files back in September, although with Apex being built upon the foundation of Titanfall, this was no guarantee that it would ever actually be introduced to the battle royale. Now, however, it seems very possible that it could be set for release in Season 4. Season 4 of Apex Legends is due to kick off on February 4, making the one-year anniversary of the game’s release. Though fans now know more about what to expect from the new season, many of the teasers and trailers have raised as many questions as they gave answers – such as the true fate of Forge, for instance, who many still believe must have some greater part to play in the game’s unfolding story. As for whether the Sidewinder is really about to be added to the game, players will likely just have to wait and see.

  • Leaked Apex Legends voice lines give huge clues about unreleased Legend – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends voice lines give huge clues about unreleased Legend Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends dataminer has found a set of voice lines in the game files that all reference an unreleased Legend and give fans some clues about their appearance. The Genesis Collection Event has arrived in Apex Legends, introducing Revenant’s heirloom to the game and giving fans the chance to drop back into the classic Kings Canyon & Worlds Edge. Despite all of the new additions, Apex fans are constantly looking to the future and are desperate to find out any information about upcoming updates. Whether it’s leaked event skins or a brand new map, unreleased content will always grab the attention of players. This is especially true when it comes to Legends, as new characters are only added at the start of each Season. That’s why when dataminer HumanSAS discovered voice lines related to an unreleased Legend, it got the community extremely excited. Leaked voice lines give clues about unreleased Legend On June 30, Apex Legends dataminer HumanSAS posted a set of voice lines to Twitter that they discovered in the game files. Every single character has their very own statement relating to an unreleased Legend and provides some clues about their theme. Although none of the current Apex roster go into very much detail, a few provide some incredibly interesting clues. For starters, Rampart, Horizon, and Octane all appear to have some kind of personal connection with the unreleased Legend based on their voice lines. On top of this, Revenant references the Legend being cursed and even jokingly remarks that may get along. This suggests we can expect this character to have a similar temperament to the Synthetic Nightmare, so expect a dark backstory. It’s also worth noting that Pathfinder references a swarm and Lifeline mentions moths, suggesting that the Legend has a connection with insects. It’s possible this even relates to the character’s abilities, as a swarm of moths would certainly disrupt a group of enemies. Audiofiles About Seer – S10 Legend:#ApexLegends pic.twitter.com/7fSqB5JGh7 — HumanSAS (@humansas_) June 30, 2021 Finally, Caustic remarks that the unreleased character uses subterfuge and misdirection to their advantage. This means we can expect a Legend that is designed to trick and outsmart their opponents, which is good news for players who love to bamboozle enemy squads. Although these voice lines have been found in Season 9, it doesn’t mean this Legend will necessarily be released in Season 10. Of course, it’s possible that this shadowy figure joins the roster in the next major update, but don’t be surprised if Respawn is planning on releasing them in a few seasons time. Now these leaks have given us a few clues about the unreleased Legend, let’s hope the dataminers can continue to dig and find even more interesting information.

  • Leaked Apex Legends trailer reveals Revenant for Season 4 – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends trailer reveals Revenant for Season 4 RespawnAnother leak from Apex Legends has hinted at the arrival of Revenant as a new legend in Season 4 and it could spell disaster for Forge. Throughout some early portions of season three, it seemed all but nailed on that Revenant would finally emerge from the shadows and make their arrival as a new character for Apex Legends. However, while fans were still waiting to get their hands on the legend that gave them the creeps in the Shadowfall limited-time mode, the character seeming got passed over. Instead, Respawn Entertainment confirmed the existence of Forge – another previously leaked legend – in the upcoming season four. Yet, there could be trouble afoot. Apex Leaker iLootGames grabbed a screenshot, whichh he claims came from a trailer that was mistakenly uploaded for two minutes. The image shows Revenant behind Forge as the character looks to be making a speech of some kind. However, things seemingly get tricky for Forge, as Revenant looks set to strike with a backstab of some kind – as their arm has been replaced by a weapon and is fully prepared to swing forward to deliver the killing blow. its a screenshot from their trailer they accidentally posted for like 2 minutes on youtube >.< — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) January 25, 2020 As it’s only a screenshot, it can’t be confirmed what is happening, but it does look an awful lot like Revenant and Forge are intertwined with their lore – with the pair of them, not just Forge, making their arrivals to Apex in Season Four. Yet, some players have also discussed the possibility of not even getting to play as Forge altogether. “Really hoping they both get to be playable because I was really really liking the look of Forge,” commented Redditor Joshwuhh. Of course, it very much remains to be seen as to what this leaked screenshot means, and if Revenant will join Forge in the new season. We don’t have that long to wait, though, as Apex Legends Season 4 kicks off on Tuesday, February 4 – a full year on from the battle royale’s surprising release.

  • Leaked Apex Legends skydiving emotes are absolutely brilliant – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends skydiving emotes are absolutely brilliant Respawn EntertainmentNew emotes have been leaked for Apex Legends that should give players more to do while dropping into the map than just looking for a landing spot. Every Apex round begins with players jumping from the dropship to land somewhere in King’s Canyon and skydive emotes were introduced with Season 2. But now, new emotes have leaked that will let you bust more moves while dropping into the battle and they look like a nice change from the usual routine, plus, who doesn’t want to surf through the air with Gibraltar? New skydiving emotes for Mirage and Gibraltar Each skydiving emote has to be unlocked for each individual hero through the Battle Pass before they can be used. To unlock all of the current emotes, players must level up their Apex Legends Battle Pass. Emotes are unlocked at the following levels: 10 – Bangalore 20 – Bloodhound 30 – Caustic 40 – Gibraltar 45 – Lifeline 60 – Mirage 70 – Octane 80 – Pathfinder 95 – Wattson 95 – Wraith The still-unreleased Gibraltar emote was clipped on Twitch by snoker_89 and shows the absolute legend using his Gun Shield to board through the air. Reddit user Pastrie82 posted video of the new Mirage emote, and said it was discovered by a fellow player. “My friend Wildzombie77 was just playing a normal match of Apex on PC (with controller of course),” they explained. “When he jumped out of the ship and found a skydive emote menu for Mirage with two emote options when he tried to use the regular emote.” So far only new skydiving emotes for Gibraltar and Mirage have been leaked, but it would make sense for each Legend to have two emotes. We still don’t know how players will be able to unlock the newly leaked emotes, but they are definitely a must-have for your favorite hero.

  • Leaked Apex Legends Shadow Royale LTM adds wallrunning and double-jump – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends Shadow Royale LTM adds wallrunning and double-jump Respawn EntertainmentA new leak has uncovered all the new mechanics that will be coming to Apex Legends’ Shadow Royale limited-time mode, expected later in Season 6. This year’s Halloween-themed event will see Apex Legends players take part in a new LTM called Shadow Royale. This event appears to be a variant of Season 3’s Shadowfall mode, which made an appearance in the previous Fight or Fright Collection. In this mode, Legends transform into spectral shadows when they die, leaving the survivors to fight their way through the shadowy hordes in order to reach the evac ship. The infection-style game mode is now set to return to Apex Legends in Season 6, transforming the sunny shores of Kings Canyon into a nightmarish hellscape. However, this year’s mode has a few new features to spice up the action. Shadow Royale new features Unlike last year’s Halloween LTM, Shadows will now be able to perform some new actions that aim to make these zombie-like creatures more lethal. Apex Legends data miner, @Biast12 has uncovered the following descriptions found in the game’s files: Shadows can Wallrun, double jump, climb higher, and smash through doors – Shadows have a brutal long-range melee – Shadows have infinite climb (returning feature from Shadowfall) – Shadows can smash through doors – Shadows regenerate health automatically – Shadows regain health on finishers – Shadows die when the last living squadmate is killed – Shadows can revive downed squadmates – If these leaks are to be believed, then it looks like Respawn has listened to the previous complaints surrounding last year’s Shadowfall Mode. The new variant LTM has also put more emphasis on teamwork as both Shadows and non-shadow Legends will now be able to work together in squads as opposed to having to play the mode solo. You can check out all the game mode specific descriptions below. The added mobility will certainly make these spectral creatures a lot more dangerous, especially when you’re trying to make your way over to the evac ship. This year’s Halloween LTM variant already seems much harder than Shadowfall, so you’ll need to work together with your squad if you wish to survive the nightmarish horrors that await you. New earnable cosmetics and badges We’ve already covered all the leaked Apex Legends Halloween skins here, but there are said to be a number of cosmetics players can earn while playing the new Shadow Royale mode. Reliable Apex Legends leaker, Shrugtal found the following description from Revenant in the game’s files. “Welcome back, skinbags. I’ve made some changes to my games, and they’re gonna be so much fun. Heh. Step into my Shadow Royale: when you drop dead here, you come back as a shadow as long as you have a living teammate. Wanna win? Make sure there’s no one left alive.” He then goes on to say “Complete my challenges to get new skins, charms and trackers, and maybe snatch some favorites from last year. Now drop in and wipe ’em out – or don’t. It’s your funeral.” Pet prowlers Aside from the generic “PET_NAME” placeholder, we have a number of names that range from incredibly cutesy to damn right ridiculous. Quite what function these pet prowlers will have is unknown, but we imagine they will aid the Shadows in hunting their victims. The description also states “Shadow pet granted to fill out your roster,” so this does indicate that pets may well replace Shadows as and when any of your squadmates die. These pets are also immune to friendly fire, but they will likely take damage from non-shadow Legends. Of course, all these features could change before the Halloween LTM is released, so take these leaks with a pinch of salt. For now, though, it looks like players will have to simply wait until the event goes live later this month. Make sure you follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

  • Leaked Apex Legends Season 2 trailer reveals major map changes – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends Season 2 trailer reveals major map changes Respawn Entertainment’s big reveal for Apex Legends Season 2 has been spoiled somewhat as leakers posted two official trailers ahead of its launch, revealing some unexpected events that could soon send shockwaves right through the map. The leaked cinematic and gameplay trailers show off the new legend for Season 2, Wattson, but what’s perhaps even more exciting is the massive changes coming to the arena – or Kings Canyon. As the narration tells us, a large EMP has detonated and will destroy the Repuslor tower, with the voiceover stating: “Kings Canyon will never be the same”. The Leviathans have physically invaded the map space now, and the pesky flyers are still there, with some appearing to be locked away in cages in different areas of the arena. The muddy areas have been transformed, or “stabilized, allowing them to regrow”, so are now lush with greenery. And, of course, there are new structures. A large tower-like building with multiple entrances has emerged and is shown off in the trailer, which you can see below. Some of these changes were expected. After all, players have known about the Leviathan’s upcoming invasion since Respawn revealed their first Season 2 trailer released at EA Play, not to mention the clues spotted in the Season 1 trailer as well. It’s unclear if any of these new areas will become ‘named’ points of interest on the map, but we’d be surprised if there wasn’t some update names for certain locations. Whether or not players will be able to interact with the Leviathans to a large degree remains uncertain, but one shot in the trailer does show one stamp its foot down – and you certainly don’t want to be underneath it when it does that. As more information is revealed out about the map changes, and everything else Season 2 related, we’ll keep you updated.

  • Leaked Apex Legends PVE mode: Enemies, wallrunning, Titans and more – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends PVE mode: Enemies, wallrunning, Titans and more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends could be set to have a Player vs Environment mode in Season 3, with details surfacing about apparent enemies, challenges, and even new features like wallrunning. While Apex Legends Season 2 has already given players interesting events like the Iron Crown Collection, anticipation is growing to see what’s next. Respawn Entertainment has already confirmed that there will be a ‘Voidwalker’ event based on Wraith, but even then, the countdown to season three is well underway. It’s in this next season where, if leaks are correct, the battle royale title could see its biggest shake-up yet. According to trusty Apex Legends data miner That1miningguy, there are game files that suggest a new PVE mode will be coming to Apex Legends. In his detailed video on the new leak, That1miningguy notes that the mode – which will be separate from the battle royale – will revolve around ten missions and ticking off objectives on your way to achieving a bigger goal. These missions will include fighting off enemies in the form of monsters and humans, opening cages, and even defending an area until the Repulsor is online. For completing them, you’ll receive loot and cosmetics that will likely be tied to the PVE mode and not in the battle royale. There will also be challenges that revolve around the PVE mode, which will involve killing specific enemies, traveling a certain distance, and grabbing kills with headshots. However, the challenges revealed by That1miningguy also suggest that the long-awaited wallruning gameplay mechanic from Titanfall could be inbound – as well as actual Titans themselves. While one challenge points out that these Titans could very well be a feature that players use, they will also be an enemy that you need to take down. There is a longer list of enemies involved too, which the data miner has listed also. These enemies include: Grunt Shield Captain – Spectre – Reaper – Special Force’s Sniper – Blisk’s Titan – Target Titan – Prowler – Alpha Prowler – Goliath – Stalker – Crimson Elite – Swamp Spider – Infected Spider – While the sight of Titan might cause raise a few eyebrows, especially as Respawn has shut down rumors of the mechanical beasts appearing in the battle royale, That1miningguy notes that they might work better as PVE enemies. While the leaker suggests that this could all be set to come in season three, it remains unconfirmed by Respawn and should, until that point, be taken with a grain of salt. Even though files may already be in-game, things can change for one reason or another and what the reputable leaker has on his hands right now could be different to the final release.

  • Apex Legends: Leaked mode could add Titanfall wallrunning and double jump movement – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Leaked mode could add Titanfall wallrunning and double jump movement Respawn Entertainment officially released the second major update for Apex Legends on Tuesday, February 19, and data miners have already began scouring through the game files – and have stumbled across some that suggest movement and Titans from Titanfall could be on their way. The February 19 update brought a whole host of fixes for the game, as Respawn attempt to combat bugs that have saw the game crash on various platforms. While the update itself didn’t introduce much in the way of new content, files that have been found in the patch suggest that fans of the game won’t have long to wait before they get to try out some new modes. First reported by @RealApexLeaks on Twitter, it seems that fans of one of Respawn’s other major franchises may soon see a crossover between the two, as files suggest that a Titanfall-esque game mode could be coming to Apex Legends. Mentioned specifically in the mode is the JumpKit that has become a staple of movement in Titanfall, which sees small jetpacks strapped around the waist of a player, allowing players to use the item’s thrusters momentarily to help them gain altitude or move away from danger. Read More: Apex Legends: What every gold item does – Wallrunning was also spotted in the files, meaning Apex Legends players could soon see themselves running along sheer vertical faces to enter into combat, or escape the grasps of enemies. LEAK: 2 new modes call Jumpkit and Wall Run have also been discovered. I really don’t know what these do, but it definitely mentions these 2 abilities – Wall Run and Jumpkit.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #ApexLegendsleaks pic.twitter.com/RmFwwyBPkN — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 19, 2019 Also found in the game’s files were four four lines of code specifically mentioning Titans, the name given to the giant robots that players can sit inside and use to dominate opponents in Titanfall, but it’s currently unclear as to whether we will see Titans in the same mode as wallrunning or the JumpKits. The code, which appears to be named JumpKit, mentions building time, health and rebuild time which seems to indicate that players will be able to repair their Titan if it gets destroyed. LEAK: Okay, so I found this new mode. It has used the word “”Titan”” a lot in it’s class. This is definitely a test mode for devs as max players and max teams are only 1. This is not cache from Titanfall as it was added just today.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsleaks pic.twitter.com/WCHFDiWHqQ — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 19, 2019 Apex Legends was originally intended to be Titanfall 3, with various files created for the game found in Apex Legends. RealApexLeaks states that these are not residual files from the original Titanfall 3 development, as these were not previously in the game, and were definitely added today. As with any leaks, nothing is set in stone, and Respawn may never choose to use the JumpKit mode in the actual game. There is currently no official date for any of these leaks to be added to the game, but stay tuned to Dexerto for more information as it becomes available.

  • Leaked Apex Legends Mirage Twitch Prime skin hints at St Patricks Day event – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends Mirage Twitch Prime skin hints at St Patricks Day event Respawn EntertainmentThe apparent next Twitch Prime skin for Apex Legends has seemingly been leaked as Mirage looks set to be given a St Patrick’s Day themed makeover for players. Like many other games, Apex Legends has linked up with Twitch Prime to give players the game to grab exclusive skins and other cosmetics at points throughout the game’s new seasons. Legends like Caustic and Pathfinder have already benefitted from new skins, but it appears as if the next one, centering around Mirage, has been leaked. Though, don’t expect the character to don any Twitch-themed Purple suits, as he looks to be gearing up for some kind of St Patrick’s Day celebrations. The apparent new skin was revealed by Apex Legends leaker iLootGames who tweeted out a close-up image of Mirage – with an extremely red face – on top of a Twitch Prime background. Players were immediately confused by the new red face look, wondering if something had gone amiss. However, more eagle-eyed players noted that his typical jumpsuit had become green and that a pretty big four-leaved clover had appeared on him in the belt buckle region. There were other nods to the clover around the skin, with them adorning Mirage’s chest belt and buttons that run across both of his arms. im excited for this one pic.twitter.com/nUVRy3wUl1 — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) March 5, 2020 The leaker eventually tweeted out an updated, and less red-faced version, of the skin a few hours later.”TBH (to be honest), I don’t think this will look too bad in-game,” they added. TBH I dont think this will look too bad in game but whatevaaa.. ill see you guys in the morning 🙂 pic.twitter.com/wBkDFU0Kw7 — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) March 6, 2020 Of course, using the St Patrick’s Day theme for the Mirage skin could seemingly open up a patch for more celebrations surrounding the day of festivities. The Respawn development team has, like other games, used real-life holidays and days of celebration in their battle royale, so that isn’t exactly a far-fetched idea. We’ll just have to wait and see as to whether or not they have anything up their sleeve. Yet, it won’t be all that long of a wait as St Patrick’s Day falls on Tuesday, March 17 and the Twitch Prime skin for Mirage would likely drop around that time as well.

  • Apex Legends’ leaked night mode could look awesome – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ leaked night mode could look awesome Reddit: saxonn_88One experimental Apex Legends fan has beaten Respawn Entertainment to the ‘night mode’ punch, showing off their idea of what the game’s map could look like in a darker setting. Will Apex Legends ever have a night mode? Back on March 8, one dataminer seemingly uncovered in-game files which suggested that a ‘night mode’ was going to make its way into Apex Legends – either as a new map or a limited time mode. However, despite calls from fans to shake things up and add the dynamic setting to the game, that hasn’t happened just yet and the wait to become an Apex Champion under the stars goes on. Yet, one fan may have given players the best look at what they could possibly expect if Respawn Entertainment follows through on a dark Kings Canyon. How does Apex Legends look in the dark? In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user deaFPS showcased their video of what the map would possibly look like if turned dark. The Redditor was able to achieve the unique look by tweaking their settings, turning Kings Canyon into a picturesque black with some gold tints landscape that would definitely breath new life into the battle royale title. Supply Bins also got given the black and gold overhaul, although that probably wouldn’t work on a wider scale in frantic combat. DeaFPS also used Bloodhound’s Plague Doctor skin as an example of what characters might look like at night, with the Legend almost blending into the background because of the settings that had been manipulated to make the map dark. Of course, if the developers ever decided to release their planned night setting, they would likely ensure players remain pretty visible despite the darker look to the map – instead of the bizarre shading that can be achieved with a few settings changes. It remains to be seen if Respawn will actually implement the previously leaked look as they’ve given no word or hints towards its possible inclusion.

  • Leaked Apex Legends LTM hints at Warzone-inspired armor change – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends LTM hints at Warzone-inspired armor change Respawn EntertainmentA renowned Apex Legends dataminer has leaked details of an upcoming Limited Time Mode in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title that could hint at huge armor changes coming to the game in the future. As with any battle royale game, the debate surrounding RNG – or, the randomness of certain events occurring – is an everlasting one. Many players, especially competitive players, believe one way the randomness can be reduced is through how players collect shields, and this LTM might be the perfect litmus test to see how Respawn can make the playing field more even. As popular leaker iLootGames explains in his latest video, there appears to be a special LTM arriving on Friday, April 24, on World’s Edge. It’s not clear what the LTM will be named, but it will have phases that last up to four days each, with players spawning in with gear before they even land. The point of the mode is that players spawn with progressively better armor during each phase of the event, as well as a pistol – similar to how Call of Duty’s new BR, Warzone, works, reducing the chances of players being caught short as soon as they land. The first phase of the event launches on April 24 at 10am PST (1pm EST/6pm BST), and players will spawn with basic level 1 armor, unable to collect any armor at all while actually in-game. The second phase starts on April 27, with players spawning with level 2 armor, the third on April 29 with level 3 armor and, finally, between May 1 and May 5, players will spawn with their pistol and Evo shields. It appears that Respawn want to use this to test whether set spawn gear, such as shields and pistols, could actually be beneficial to the game – and this might change Apex Legends as we know it entirely.

  • Leaked Apex Legends Hop-Up will turn weapons into paintball guns – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends Hop-Up will turn weapons into paintball guns Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cgdaanpd]An Apex Legends dataminer has discovered some very interesting files within the game for a new Hop-Up attachment that could turn weapons into paintball guns in a new summertime Limited Time Mode (LTM). It definitely looks like Apex players will be getting a new limited-time mode this summer for Season 5, and based on the in-game files discovered, things could be getting messy. Dataminer Biast12 seems to have found several very interesting files in the game that point to a new Hop-Up for weapons that actually turns them into paintball guns. On June 23 Biast posted images of in-game files he found, listing a new “WPN_HOPUP_PAINTBALL” and a description of “increased magazine capacity and faster reloads. Paint-loaded rounds.” This certainly sounds like an item that will transform weapons into straight-up paintball guns, and players will even have the option to change their bullet color as well, according to the leaks. Based on the images provided by Biast, players will be able to set their guns to shoot purple, yellow, green, or a random combination of all three colors of ammunition. The “increased capacity and faster reloads” part of the leak could definitely point to a paintball limited-time mode where shots do less damage to other players, but color a small area where they hit. Another Twitter user posted an image of what they thought could be the new paintball hopper in-game, pulled from the Apex Legends Lost Treasures dev stream. If this is the new item and they are white/common rarity, then players should have no problem finding them among the floor loot. I think this is the new hop up ingame. I saw this in the new dev stream. It seems to be white rarity pic.twitter.com/VLBOCafIEM — Clairehouse (@clairehouse_) June 23, 2020 Whether or not a paintball LTM is actually headed our way or when it will begin is still technically unknown, but leakers did correctly predict Season 4’s Battle Armor mode though, so there is some credibility in datamined information, even if the details remain murky. A paintball LTM would be perfect for an Apex Legends summer celebration, and if the devs even went as far as to tease the gun in their official stream, then we might not have to wait too long for it to kick off.

  • Leaked Apex Legends gun charms: Mirrors Edge, Mass Effect, more – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends gun charms: Mirrors Edge, Mass Effect, more EA / Respawn EntertainmentA handful of new Apex Legends gun charms have been leaked, themed around several EA games – including Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, and Plants vs Zombies. Season 7 has added a hoarde of new cosmetics to Apex Legends already. All new sprays and sky dive emotes, alongside the collection of skins for both weapons and Legends. With the backing of EA as their publisher, Respawn are in a position where the potential crossovers are so wide and broad. They also recently added gun charms exclusive for players on Steam, where Apex launched at the start of Season 7. Like the Steam charms, which were linked to Valve games like Portal and Half-Life, these leaked gun charms all related to various games under EA publishing. On November 10, leaker SWL on Twitter posted a series of images of the gun charms. According to another leaker, Shrugtal, it’s expected that they will be rewards for players who purchase a subscription to EA play. At the moment. There is the Holo-Day bash event coming up, although not officially confirmed by Respawn, badges for the event have appeared in-game. Skins have also been leaked, which is always the highlight of the holiday event. We’ll have to wait and see when these leaked charms become available.

  • Leaked Apex Legends files reveal Loba as next character – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends files reveal Loba as next character EAAfter Revenant’s blockbuster entrance into the Apex Games in Season 4, all eyes are looking forward to the next Legend – and it appears Loba is next to make her debut. Ever since Apex Legends’ Season 4 cinematic trailer hit the big screen, fans everywhere have been dissecting every millisecond of footage to learn more about the mysterious young girl that was left in the wake of Revenant’s destructive rampage. All clues point towards that young girl being Loba; a previously leaked character, also known as Rosie, that has been on Respawn’s radar for some time. While we already have a pretty comprehensive character profile for Loba – including a leak of her Tactical Ability animation – we have very little information on when she will be added to the roster of Legends. Given how much of the Assimilation narrative revolved around her character prologue, it would be logical to assume that Loba will be the next Legend to be introduced to the Apex Games. However, a supposed image of the in-game files that was posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, appears to hint towards Loba most definitely being the next character. Cross-reference the above list with a previously leaked list from Respawn and there is a much more solid case for Loba being the next Legend. Combine all of the above with the fact that there have been some in-game teasers of a wolf running around the Plant Harvester in World’s Edge, and this paints a pretty vivid picture of who Respawn are looking to cast into Apex Legends ever-expanding roster. Alongside Loba being added next, the list also confirms that Rampart and Blisk’s entrance into the Apex Games is imminent. Although a date isn’t specified from the leaks, many have hypothesized the upcoming mid-season split to be the perfect opportunity to introduce Loba — as we look set to return to Kings Canyon for an extended period of time. If not, we may have to wait until Season 5. While all of the aforementioned information certainly does look promising, it is important to take any leak with a pinch of salt — after all, Respawn might just be throwing a spanner in the works?

  • Leaked Apex Legends character abilities receive huge overhaul after update – Dexerto

Leaked Apex Legends character abilities receive huge overhaul after update An Apex Legends data miner has revealed a plethora of updates to previously leaked Legends in the code of the in-game files following Patch 3.1 going live – with some characters edging closer to making their debut sooner rather than later. As Respawn Entertainment roll out more updates for their flagship battle royale, more information is added to the bones of the game which data miners latch onto and decrypt it accordingly. Twitter user, @RealApexLeaks, uncovered a host of changes that have been made to multiple leaked Legends during an update that was pushed live on November 5 — with one particular character looking poised to drop into World’s Edge in the near future. Downfall Apex Legends players think Supply Bins need a major loot overhaul‘Burning Anger’ still remains embedded within the code, although a potential second Passive Ability has now been added. Downfall’s Ultimate also received a description change. Previous Passive: Burning Anger — “Dealing damage builds rage. Filling your rage meter makes you immune to fire for 20 seconds.” – New Passive: Fire Walker — “You automatically extinguish fire by walking through it. Burning teammates will be extinguished when they move close to you.” – Previous Ultimate: Reign of Fire — “Fire a cascade of incendiary rockets.” – New Ultimate: Reign of Fire — “Fire a rocket propelled fire bomb.” – Husaria Previous Passive: Shotgun Kick — “A breaching shotgun on your calf that discharges when you melee doors or enemies. Requires shotgun ammo.” – New Passive: Shotgun Kick — “You have a shotgun on your leg that fires when you melee doors or enemies. Requires shotgun ammo. Using your abilities grants you a brief speed boost.” – Rampart Abilities & images leaked for Conduit & Forge characters in Apex LegendsThe character’s lack of description hints that they are still in early development. However, based on the list of abilities, the Legend appears to be an independent mercenary, with a list of soldier–esque traits. Previous Ability: Amped Cover — “Builds cover that provides a damage boost to anyone standing near it, can be picked up and moved.” – New Ability: Amped Cover — “Build cover with an upper barrier that blocks incoming shots and boosts the damage of outgoing shots.” – Previous Ability: My Friend Maxim — “Places a mounted machine gun that anyone in the squad can use, uses heavy ammo.” – New Ability: Emplaced HMG — “Place a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. High ammo capacity, long reload time.” – Previous Ability: Gunner — “LMG’s have increased magazine capacity and reload faster.” – New Ability: Gunner — “Machine guns have increased magazine capacity and reload faster.” – Revenant Revenant’s first appearance came through the Shadowfall LTM, which teased the character as the puppet-master behind a host of mysterious ongoings leading to the revival of Legends as ‘Shadows’ during a limited-time game mode. Previously described as ‘Nightmare Simulacrum’, the character is now referred to as a ‘Synthetic Nightmare’ — meaning that their character reference no longer pertains to being a figment of the imagination, but more something that’s meant to represent an unnatural horror. Moreover, the Synthetic Nightmare’s second stance (referred to as Shadow Form) appears to have been removed entirely, with one new ability being added in-place: New Ability: Silence — “Throw a device that disables enemy abilities for 10 seconds.” – Rosie The update brought one minor change to her abilities, with the function to remove ‘hidden compartments in loot bins’ being removed. Previous Passive: Eye for quality — “Rosie can see through walls and can open up hidden compartments in loot bins.” – New Passive: Eye for quality — “Loba (Rosie) can see nearby loot through walls.” – Valk Apex Legends players discover the true value of the HammerpointPrevious Passive: Afterburners — “After initial drop, Valk and her teammates fly faster while skydiving.” – New Passive: VTOL Jets — “Hold jump to initiate VTOL Jets.” – Previous Tactical: VTOL Jets — “Hold (button) to hover VTOL jet.” – New Tactical: Cluster Missile — “Fire a rocket that explodes multiple times.” – Previous Ultimate: Skyward — “Valk and nearby allies take to the skies after a short countdown.” – New Ultimate: Skyward — “Press once to prepare for launch. Teammates can interact with Valk to join the launch. Press again to launch into the air and skydive.” – Aside from the plethora of changes that have come to character abilities, Forge has now been added to the localization files – joining the Wattson and Crypto – meaning that we could be seeing them sooner rather than later. Of course, this must be taken with a pinch of salt, since all of the above is subject to change before each Legend goes live. For a full list of leaked characters and their abilities, stay tuned to our leaked character hub, which will be updated as more information slips through the cracks.

  • New Apex Legends 3D models hint at upcoming new characters – Dexerto

New Apex Legends 3D models hint at upcoming new characters EA / Alessandro BaldasseroniNew 3D models might indicate what Blisk and Barker, two of the rumored upcoming Legends in Apex Legends, could look like. Octane is the newest character in Apex Legends but he’s already considered old news to many players and they have their eyes set on the future. Two new 3D models that appeared on ArtStation might be giving us our first look at two of the upcoming Legends for players to get their hands on. Are these the two new Legends? There has been a lot of chatter about Wattson being the upcoming character but it looks like he might not end up being the newest one if these models are anything to go by. Instead, there’s a chance that Blisk and Barker could be the upcoming Legends, but when they come out is something we still don’t know. We don’t actually know if they’ll ever be coming out. A render of Barker popped up, one that looks eerily close to LeBron James but we’ll leave that alone, indicating that he must be somewhere on the horizon. Similarly, there’s a render of Blisk that features a full body look at the potential new Legend. Eagle-eyed fans might recognize him from the cinematic trailer. You can take a look at all the renders on ArtStation right here. What does any of this mean? For the time being, without any official word from EA or Respawn, these models don’t mean a whole lot. We know they exist since we’re looking at them but it’s hard to tell what the plans are for these characters if they ever do end up coming into the game. It still seems like we’re a long way out from getting another Apex Legends update so players might have to remain patient for future Legends.

  • Kings Canyon is finally coming back to Apex Legends but with a catch – Dexerto

Kings Canyon is finally coming back to Apex Legends but with a catch Respawn EntertainmentFollowing a leak, it’s officially been confirmed that Kings Canyon is coming back to Apex Legends, as part of Season 4. However, it has only been confirmed for Ranked Play so far. Kings Canyon was all players knew until Season 3 of Apex, when World’s Edge was released. Although it was exciting to get a new map, the general consensus is that Kings Canyon is the better of the two arenas. Respawn confirmed that the original map would come back at some point, but didn’t give an exact date. The developers wanted to ensure everyone got plenty of time to enjoy the new map first. With Season 4 around the corner, speculation is rife that Kings Canyon is set to make a glorious return. But, we don’t need speculation any longer. Leaked game files first found that it was coming back, and Respawn confirmed on January 23. Reliable data miner That1MiningGuy, who is behind the majority of key Apex Legends leaks, has found a new ‘EPAK’ file with an image of Kings Canyon. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1220073887217737729 Then during their devstream on January 23, Respawn unveiled Season 4, Assimilation, revealing the new legend Forge and much more. However, fans might be even more excited to see confirmation of Kings Canyon coming back. When is Kings Canyon coming back to Apex Legends? Season 4 will feature two ranked ‘splits’, which will be played on each map; World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. World’s Edge will be available from February 3 to March 23. Kings Canyon will be available from March 24 to May 5. So far, it’s only been confirmed that Kings Canyon will be available in Ranked mode. The nighttime version of Kings Canyon is coming to the game for only two days, January 24 – 25. Players already got a taste of this in the Shadowfall LTM too, but the daytime version is what fans really want. What is an EPAK file in Apex Legends? For those unfamiliar with data mining, an EPAK is a type of file used for a very specific purpose. EPAKs allow the developers to push new, smaller content into the game at the flick of a switch. This means there’s no need to wait for major patches to add something small. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1216756939000111104 Season 4 is set to begin on February 4, exactly one year on from the game’s release. Unfortunately, players will have to wait just a little longer to get the true nostalgia of Kings Canyon back.

  • Leak suggests 3rd person mode coming to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Leak suggests 3rd person mode coming to Apex Legends New leaks have surfaced that indicate a third-person mode in Apex Legends could be more than just an easter egg, as hints towards a potential new LTM have been discovered. Since launch, Apex Legends has been strictly a first-person shooter, one that borrows heavily from Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall series, in terms of mechanics and weapons. However, other rival battle royale games like Fortnite and PUBG both have third-person modes (Fortnite is exclusivly third-person), and it looks like Respawn may be taking some inspiration. Third-person was first spotted thanks to a peculiar easter egg in the training area/firing range in Apex, where a player could follow a series of seemingly meaningless steps to send the camera back behind the player model. When first discovered, not many people thought much of it past being a funny easter egg the devs had added, but the third-person camera was conspicuously well developed, hinting that it perhaps had a greater purpose. Now, Apex Legends data miner That1MiningGuy has uncovered game files which strongly suggest a third person mode is in the works. The first hint is an Opt in / Opt out selector, plus lots of changes to the third-person effects. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1206567360569720832 There’s no indication of a when a new mode like this might be added, but it’s safe to assume that another limited-time mode will be coming at some point in Season 3. Although there is typically only one or two LTM’s per season, Season 4 has been delayed until February 4, meaning a third LTM mode could be used to fill the gap until then. So far, there has been Duos, Shadowfall and now the Winter Express LTM in Season 3. A third-person mode would be a massive change the game, and something that, if successful, players would surely want to see added as a permanent choice. Read More: How to get free Cyber Attack Crypto skin in Apex Legends So far, Respawn have been reluctant to keep any of these LTM’s permanent, even Solo and Duos, which were massively popular with players. Third-person, if it is indeed added, would require a complete change-up of playstyle for many players, but whether it would still keep the same buttery-smooth feel as Respawn’s acclaimed first-person mechanics remains to be seen. It’s worth noting, as with all leaks, that none of this is confirmed, and we’ll have to wait on an official announcement from Respawn about what the next LTM in Apex Legends will be.

  • Leak reveals next Apex Legends collection event ‘Treasure Hunter’ – Dexerto

Leak reveals next Apex Legends collection event ‘Treasure Hunter’ Respawn/EAThe name of Apex Legends’ next collection event has been revealed as Treasure Hunter – with one leaker already getting his hands on a themed-Loot Tick. Apex Legends offers players the chance to rock some pretty swaggy skins for their favorite characters via Apex Packs and constant updates to the in-game shop. Though, there is nothing quite like a collection event. These limited-time events pop up for around two weeks during the new Apex seasons and give fans the chance to grab some exclusive cosmetics from event-specific Apex Packs and the event shop. There is also usually a Town Takeover where one specific legend gets the chance to make a spot on the map their own with a unique change as well as a new heirloom. Though season five, Fortune’s Favor, is still in its infancy – as it only launched on May 12 – reliable leakers Biast12 and Shrugtal have managed to get their hands on some new details. According to the leakers, the next collection event for Apex Legends will be given the name of Treasure Hunter – seemingly playing into the gold coins and other items that currently sit behind players in the pre-match lobby. Biast12 even managed to go a step beyond the name, showcasing off a themed Loot Tick for the event. So this is the loot Tick that is for the next Collection Event Called “”Treasure Hunter”” pic.twitter.com/YZxX67Ptx9 — Biast12 (@Biast12) June 5, 2020 In Biast12’s video, the tick appears to decked out in gold and bronze colors – and even has some map-like symbols decorating its body. A closer look at the tick appears to show the names of some parts of the World’s Edge map too. “We got Skyhook, The Dome and Lave City, maybe more but I can’t read it,” the leaker tweeted. ohh yeah for people that haven’t noticed, some of the zones on WE is on that map/texture, we got Skyhook, The Dome and Lave City, maybe more but i can’t read it pic.twitter.com/A0l097kxEs — Biast12 (@Biast12) June 5, 2020 With the name of the event being Treasure Hunter, there are plenty of connections that fans could make – with some centering in on pirates, given their love for loot. However, it is going to be a case of wait and see until Respawn confirms details like the event’s release date, theme, and more.

  • Leak: Apex Legends squad missions and challenges coming soon? – Dexerto

Leak: Apex Legends squad missions and challenges coming soon? The Apex Legends leaks keep coming following the release of the Season 1 ‘Wild Frontier’ update. The latest leak suggests that squad missions could be coming soon to the popular game. Apex Legends Season 1 went live yesterday (March 19). Despite a new season to grind, and a new legend to boot, Apex Legends players are still craving leaks as to what the future could hold for EA’s battle royale game. Dataminers are hard at work and one of the latest findings suggests squad missions could be coming soon. While details of such a feature remain sparse, their existence within the code is noteworthy. The files in question seem to relate to squad missions which overlay Apex Legends’ main HUD. More specifically it looks like there is a squad mission HUD which can either be displayed or hidden and a further screen highlighting progress of said squad mission. Read More: Apex Legends Season 1: Wild Frontier Update – Patch notes, Battle Pass, new Legend and more – Another reference to missions points to a mission select button, although this doesn’t appear to be specific to squads. These could potentially relate to individual challenges like we see in Fortnite Battle Royale. Missions/Challenges may be added to the game soon. #ApexLegends #Apexpartner #apexnews #Apexleaks #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #apexlegendsseason1 #apexlegendsleaks #apexlegendsclips #Apex pic.twitter.com/GT27pE1pqi — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) March 20, 2019 These files don’t guarantee a squad mission or challenge feature will be coming to Apex Legends but the fact they are in the code shows that they could become relevant in the near future. Information gleaned from datamines tends to have some bearing on the game. However, it should be noted that not every feature found in datamines does make its way into the game. Apex Legends is still in its relative infancy as a game but the hype around Season 1 and the demand for leaks shows it is now a mainstay in the battle royale genre.

  • Latest Apex Legends Season 5 teaser hints at further map changes – Dexerto

Latest Apex Legends Season 5 teaser hints at further map changes Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends Season 5 teaser was found on April 20, and although the mysterious mobile device seems to be suggesting that new changes could be made to the World’s Edge map, it’s also raised more questions than it’s answered. With Season 5 on the horizon in Apex Legends, more and more teasers for the upcoming chapter are starting to pop up both on World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. According to leaked information, “Phase 2” of these easter eggs was set to kick off on Monday, April 20 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, with many expecting Respawn Entertainment to add something to the map that sheds some light on what is to come down the line. That’s exactly what the developers did, as it didn’t take long for prominent dataminer iLootGames to locate the new teaser, which came in the shape of an inconspicuous mobile device. Located in one of the control rooms in Sorting Factory, this device can be picked up and interacted with, and when activated, it displays a cryptic message. “ELECTRICAL DEVICE? CHECK WITH JAIME. MORE TUNNELS… CHECK WEST HALF OF ISLAND.” While the jury is still out on who “Jaime” is, the second line of the message, the one about “more tunnels,” could be foreshadowing for some map changes coming to World’s Edge, more specifically the “west half of the island.” The image displayed on the mobile device’s screen also offers some hints, with the red structure potentially being what the developers plan on adding once Season 5 kicks off. That said, this teaser might not be a clue for map changes at all, and instead, an indicator for where the next easter egg will be located. It’s already been leaked that “Phase 3” will take place on Friday, April 24, so this new device could just be pointing to where that will be found. Keen-eyed players will notice the logo featured on the device prior to being activated was that of the Archaeological Research (ARES) Division, an “armed research and development” group from Respawn’s Titanfall series. The Phase 1 teaser, which popped up on April 16, also came in the form of a mobile phone displaying that very same logo, and it too hinted at some sort of map changes coming to the Singh Labs location on Kings Canyon. At this point, all this remains convoluted with very little concrete substance to follow up on. For now, we’ll just have to wait until the Phase 3 teaser on April 24 and hope that it offers some clarity to these complex easter eggs.

  • Apex Legends finally adding Laser Sight attachment in Season 14 – Dexerto

Apex Legends finally adding Laser Sight attachment in Season 14 Respawn EntertainmentLaser Sights is a new weapon attachment coming to Apex Legends in Season 14 – after months of speculation. Here’s what laser sights do, and what weapons it works with. Season 14 of Apex Legends is set to be a very interesting one thanks to the emergence of the new Legend Vantage, as well as the long-awaited level cap increase. But as well as a new character to use in Apex, players are also going to have access to a brand new weapon attachment to improve the accuracy and usability of some of the game’s best weapons – a Laser Sight. Laser Sight for Pistols and SMGs Assault Rifles and LMGs are generally top dogs when it comes to Apex Legends’ weaponry, but the new Laser Sight barrel attachment could throw a spanner in the works. It was actually rumored a while back that the Laser Sight attachment was being tested out in the game, thanks to a leak. Now, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Laser Sights will be available from Season 14 onwards, and they will be usable on the game’s SMGs and Pistols. As in most other FPS games like Call of Duty, Laser Sights will help to combat hip-fire spread, making firing without aiming more accurate. This will be tremendously useful in close-combat situations where an enemy suddenly appears next to you out of nowhere, and if you can obtain gold versions of the attachment, then you’ll certainly be locked and loaded to take an enemy down in no time at all. The devs have also said that you’ll be able to change the color of the laser, similar to customization options seen with weapon reticles, to allow you to personalize your setup. A Laser Sight attachment is one of many reasons for players and fans to be excited about the new season of Apex Legends, along with suggestions that we are about to welcome back Skull Town to the game..

  • L-STAR gets massive buff in Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence – Dexerto

L-STAR gets massive buff in Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence Respawn/EAThe L-STAR will receive quite a substantial buff in Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence as you’ll now be able to use energy magazines that will prevent the gun from overheating so quickly. The start of Apex Legends Season 10 is right around the corner, with a new legend – Seer – joining the party and World’s Edge getting a massive overhaul. On top of those, there is also a new weapon in the form of the Rampage LMG, as well as a whole host of buff and nerfs to the battle royale’s popular legends. It’s not just legends that will be tweaked either, as a handful of weapons are set to undergo changes with the Spitfire replacing the Prowler inside of the Care Packages. However, that’s not all. According to Gamespot, the L-STAR will receive quite a significant buff too, as players will finally be able to equip attachments to the energy weapon. “The LMG will now also take barrel stabilizers and extended energy magazines,” they reported, noting that the better the energy mag that you equip, the longer the L-STAR will take to reach its overheating point. Plus, using a better energy mag will also reduce the time needed for the L-STAR to cool down if you hit that overheating zone while firing. That’s not all, either. The long-teased nerf to the EVA-8 will also come in Season 1o. As per Gamespot, the shotgun’s fire rate when a shotgun bolt is attached will be nerfed and reload speed will be tied to stocks instead of magazines. With the EVA becoming a popular choice in Season 9: Legacy, it should drop off in Season 10, giving other close-range weapons the chance to shine. As for the L-STAR, well, don’t be shocked if you start seeing that given a bit more love.

  • Kraber & Mastiff set to move to Replicators in upcoming Apex Legends event – Dexerto

Kraber & Mastiff set to move to Replicators in upcoming Apex Legends event Respawn EntertainmentThe Kraber and the Mastiff are heading into the crafting rotation for the upcoming Armed & Dangerous LTM that’s reportedly kicking off on July 19. Care package weapons are some of the most powerful guns in the Outlands, but as they can only be obtained in the late game, it’s almost impossible to get hold of them consistently. While the G7 Scout and Volt are deadly in the right players’ hands, it’s the long-range Kraber and powerhouse Mastiff shotgun that have the biggest reputations in the community. Luckily, if you’re a fan of these two lethal weapons, then you’ll definitely want to get involved with the Armed & Dangerous LTM coming in the next update. Both the Mastiff and Kraber are heading into the Replicators for a select number of days while the LTM is live, so be on the lookout for crafting materials. Kraber & Mastiff in Replicators for Armed & Dangerous In a recent set of leaks, it has been revealed that the Armed & Dangerous LTM will be arriving with the Gaiden update on July 19. This LTM made its first appearance in Apex back with the Voidwalker event and limits players to only using shotguns and snipers. According to leaker SenosApex, Respawn is going to keep the rotation of weapons interesting by making the Longbow and Peacekeeper craftable for the weekdays that Armed & Dangerous is active. Not only that, on the weekend, players will be able to craft the care package Kraber and Mastiff for a total of 150 crafting materials each. Although 150 crafting materials is a lot, it’s understandable given the overwhelming strength of care package weapons. Of course, if you’re looking to rack up kills in the LTM, it’s definitely worth heading to a Replicator and picking one of these up. However, at this point, it’s hard to know how spread out the crafting materials are going to be in the LTM, it’ll just be a case of waiting for July 19, or for an announcement from Respawn.

  • Known Apex Legends cheater mocks Respawn with new username – Dexerto

Known Apex Legends cheater mocks Respawn with new username Apex Legends had a major problem with hackers at launch and a known cheater has been trolling Respawn with new accounts following each of his bans. Back in May 2019, Respawn revealed they had banned over 700,000 accounts in Apex Legends as they fought to combat a widespread problem. For the most part, they have things under control now, but there are still plenty of bad apples in the bunch. German Twitch streamer Lex4tor88 has been banned by Respawn before, but he keeps finding ways to circumvent the ban and get back into the game. Viewers have even been able to capture an exact moment on stream from when he was banned from Apex, but he still manages to play daily. Team Reciprocity Apex Legends pro Wacko has publicly called for a Twitch ban for Lex4tor, but so far his calls have been fruitless. Don’t cheat on stream…. 😩 Good shit @GH057ayame @shahin pic.twitter.com/DaCZzTFrgl — WACKO (@WACKOFPS) December 23, 2019 In an effort to avoid the ban, Lex4tor created an account named “1000Accounts” which is seemingly a dig at Respawn. If his accounts keep on getting banned, he’ll just continue making them. It appears that not everyone has a problem with the potentiually hacking as his viewers will frequently defend him whenever anyone asks about aimbotting. Lex isn’t a massive streamer by any stretch, but he does have a dedicated audience, boasting more than 4,000 followers on his channel. https://twitter.com/Veineless/status/1209201418311127041 Wacko provided numerous clips showing examples of Lex4tor’s aimbot and the amount of damage it can cause to unsuspecting players is quite staggering. Of course, it’s hard to tell based on just this if he’s actually hacking or not, but the evidence is certainly tough to ignore. It’s unclear if Twitch will do anything about the use of an aimbot and constant ban evading in Apex Legends, but if things keep up like this, they might have no choice but to act on it. Once Respawn catches wind of this, they will surely take additional action on his account too.

  • Knockdown Shields left “useless” after Apex Legends Season 6 update – Dexerto

Knockdown Shields left “useless” after Apex Legends Season 6 update Respawn/EA[jwplayer Zz7BSKP7]Apex Legends fans are growing increasingly frustrated with Knockdown Shields not working as intended following the Season 6 patch – with some claiming that they’re completely useless. With the launch of Apex Legends Season 6, fans of Respawn’s incredibly popular battle royale were finally given the chance to play as Rampart, while also getting their hands on Titanfall’s Volt SMG. However, despite all the changes, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows following the update. Players have been reporting growing issues with connecting to games, being able to teleport under the map, and even seeing a revive bug rear its head. On top of those, however, it looks as if the recent patch has also caused a few issues with the knockdown shields – which isn’t great news if you’re trying to defend yourself on the ground. While the Knockdown Shield is supposed to deflect enemy attacks, be that bullets or punches, while you’re waiting for a helping hand, it seems as that isn’t actually the case. Reddit user reallybigsillywilly labeled the shields as a “scam” because, during one of their recent games, they were punched to elimination despite holding up a blue knockdown shield. The blue shield, which is supposed to repel 450 points of damage, could barely withstand two punches before the Revenant player was eliminated from the game. Though, they aren’t just the only one. Fellow Redditor bladefinor pointed out that they’d experienced similar only a few days earlier. Others claimed that the shields, outside of the gold ones which allow you to revive yourself once, aren’t even worth picking up because they aren’t working as they’re supposed to. Even though Respawn regularly chimes in when the subreddit points out problems, they haven’t done so as of writing, so it remains to be seen as to whether or not they address the problems with the shields.

  • Kings Canyon removed from Apex Legends after update 1.91 breaks the game – Dexerto

Kings Canyon removed from Apex Legends after update 1.91 breaks the game Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has had to remove the original Apex Legends map, Kings Canyon, from the game while they work on a fix. The map was responsible for causing widespread server errors after the 1.91 update. On Monday, March 14, Respawn rolled out a small Apex Legends update across all platforms. As this was a minor patch, there were no patch notes, and so players carried on as normal. Except, soon after the update it became clear that all was not right, as matches were constantly ending prematurely, with players kicked and given a server error message. It’s believed that the cause of the issue was actually Caustic’s town takeover on the map, with servers crashing as soon as his gas was released. If you are being kicked from matches in #ApexLegends, it’s not just you – lots of players reporting server errors at the moment. pic.twitter.com/dZ60XSDNEu — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 14, 2022 The issue was widespread, affecting players on all platforms, and although you could get into a match, you wouldn’t be able to stay in it for long. A few hours later, Respawn acknowledged the issue, and confirmed they were working on a fix, but players would have to sit tight. Eventually, Kings Canyon was simply removed from rotation to prevent any more crashing. We are temporarily disabling Kings Canyon while we continue to work on a fix for this issue. Thank you again for your patience here, legends. — Respawn (@Respawn) March 14, 2022 There’s no indication as to when Kings Canyon will be re-enabled, but it will only be a temporary bandaid until whatever the issue is with Caustic’s takeover or any other possible causes, are resolved. It means that for the time being, Apex is back to having only two maps in rotation – Olympus and Storm Point – with World’s Edge out for at least the entirety of Season 12. Respawn are working on a number of other bugs in Apex too, including Loba accidentally being nerfed, and heirlooms causing you to move slower on ziplines.

  • Kings Canyon is returning to Apex Legends for a limited time – Dexerto

Kings Canyon is returning to Apex Legends for a limited time EAIn a surprise move, Respawn announced Kings Canyon would be returning to Apex Legends alongside World’s Edge. Players have spent a couple of seasons now growing accustomed to World’s Edge, the current location in Apex Legends, but they have always had a spot in their heart for Kings Canyon. Respawn decided to appease these fans by bringing the original map back for a limited time, news that’s sure to excite many of the longtime players. Beginning on Friday, February 21, and running through February 24, Kings Canyon will be playable along with the current map. However, it’s not an exact replica of the map as we last knew it, but instead, it’s the Season 1 version. It’s currently unclear if the game will decide randomly what map players will be dropped into, or if they’ll have the option to choose themselves. We’re going back to where it all started. 😎 Starting tomorrow through Feb 24, in addition to World’s Edge, Season 1 Kings Canyon will also be available to play. pic.twitter.com/OLDCegRrPX — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 20, 2020 It was always known that Respawn wouldn’t ever get rid of the map for good, especially when you consider how much time they put into fine-tuning it. We’ve seen other games with multiple maps make them all playable in one way or another, with PUBG making all of its available at any time. It looks like Apex Legends will continue to keep World’s Edge around going forward, but it’s good to see them realize that there’s still a large audience of players out there who enjoy the first map just as much, if not more. Keep in mind that Kings Canyon will not be around forever, so if you plan on jumping into the original location once again, you’ll only have this weekend to do so before it’s removed from the game. Of course, it will likely not be gone forever as the developers have clearly shown a willingness to bring it back for special occasions. In fact, they’ll be doing just that on March 24 for the second ranked split before it disappears yet again. Who knows, perhaps Season 5 could see a permanent return or a whole new map entirely. For now, Apex Legends Season 4 players get a taste of both worlds.

  • Kings Canyon gets major overhaul in Apex Legends Season 14: Skulltown returns as Relic – Dexerto

Kings Canyon gets major overhaul in Apex Legends Season 14: Skulltown returns as Relic Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Kings Canyon is in for some big-time changes in Season 14. From a new Point of Interest to some drastic shakeups to familiar locations, there’s a lot to catch up with before the new season kicks off. Kings Canyon is Apex’s original map and it has seen more redesigns than any other arena in the battle royale. Season 14 brings yet another incarnation of the beloved battlefield and Respawn has now revealed the first look at what’s to come. There’s a new POI as well as a handful of changes to places that players already know and love, and here’s how it all breaks down. Every change to Apex Legends’ Kings Canyon in Season 14 The biggest talking point is the addition of a new area called Relic where players will fight under the cover of an enormous skull that takes up much of the area around it. In a Season 14 preview event attended by Dexerto, the devs spoke on the need to add something new in order to break up big bottleneck areas of the map so players had more options to rotate through whenever approaching the Relic-side of the map. Two familiar locations went under a big redesign as the infamous ‘Cage’ area of the map saw an entire floor lopped off and had its sides opened up to make it less intimidating to approach when a team has taken it over for themselves. Hillside also got similar treatment and will no longer have an interior portion for teams to hole up in. Instead, most of the platform will be exposed to the open air in order to open up the fighting a little bit and give teams a fair shot at retaking it from enemies. Another big change was the Broken Relic POI, which has now been renamed to Basin and has been given a few more buildings, which should make it a more attractive drop for squads that want to land a little bit off the beaten path. All of these changes will be supported by an overall increased land mass for the map and some minor changes to the way that some locations are linked together, a change that the devs hope will up the map as a whole and encourage players to get on the move without fear of running headfirst into death traps. All of these changes will be live when Season 14 drops on August 9.

  • Apex Legends disables Explosive Holds after Kings Canyon loot rooms start crashing games – Dexerto

Apex Legends disables Explosive Holds after Kings Canyon loot rooms start crashing games Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has temporarily disabled Explosive Holds across Kings Canyon, after Apex Legends players uncovered a game-breaking glitch with the loot rooms that was crashing entire lobbies and ending matches. After a stint with World’s Edge as the sole Apex Legends map to celebrate Season 10, Respawn re-added Kings Canyon and Olympus to the battle royale’s rotations. The return to Kings Canyon has been less than ideal, however, with a lobby-shattering bug already rearing its ugly head on the original Apex Legends battleground: players quickly discovered if they attempt to unlock the game’s Explosive Holds, an — pardon our pun — explosive glitch would end the match lobby. When triggered, the bug shuts down any game immediately. The biggest issue with the bug, first shared on Reddit on August 10, is how easy it is to trigger; Dexerto can confirm this is repeatable, after testing it earlier today. #ApexLegends players have found a game-breaking bug where opening Explosive Holds crashes the entire game server. We’ve tested, it’s repeatable 🤦 (via u/nellsmelldavedouble) pic.twitter.com/nzNqw04AbX — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) August 11, 2021 Thankfully, Respawn has already clocked the issue. Early on August 11, the Apex Legends developers shut off the mechanism locking Explosive Holds entirely, meaning the glitch-trigger is — for now — no longer present on Kings Canyon. Apex tech designer Exgeniar confirmed they were on the case, and had already deployed an emergency measure: “Until we have a proper fix; Explosive Holds spawn opened.” This means that, until Respawn gives further notice, all fifteen of Kings Canyon’s explosive loot rooms (not including the rich Loots Vaults) are fully accessible for any lucky players that stumble across them. Here’s our Explosive Holds location guide if you want to scoop up all the now-free goodies early. Exgeniar added a permanent solution would ship “soon.” While no glitch is fun, there is one upside; World’s Edge is the ranked map, but later in Season 10 the competitive battleground will shift to Kings Canyon. If this game-breaking issue had appeared in a ranked Apex Legends match, instead of a casual lobby, things could have been far worse. Considering they’re already on the case, we won’t have to wait long.

  • Kings Canyon coming back to Apex Legends again for limited-time – Dexerto

Kings Canyon coming back to Apex Legends again for limited-time Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment are answering the prayers of Apex Legends players once again, as Kings Canyon is making another glorious comeback in regular modes, but only for a limited time. Although the original (and to many, best) Apex Legends map was already added for a weekend earlier in Season 4, it was the Season 1 version of the map. Long-time Apex players will remember that it was given an overhaul for Season 2, as Crypto wreaked havoc on the arena, allowing the Leviathans to take over. It’s this Season 2 version of the map that will be available in regular rotation for the weekend of March 20 – 23. Read More: Apex Legends leaks reveal new weapon skins – If you’re a fan of Ranked play in Apex Legends, you may already know that Kings Canyon is set to return on a longer-term basis with the second split of Season 4, starting on March 24. But, the map will only be available in Ranked play at that point. Adding it in this weekend gives players the perfect opportunity to practice their Canyon skills before the second split. All hail the King(s Canyon) 👑 Squad up and drop in on Season 2 Kings Canyon starting tomorrow, March 20, through March 23. See you Legends there. pic.twitter.com/BTvsKunl5h — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) March 19, 2020 Whether you prefer the first or second iteration of Kings Canyon, one thing is for sure, most people still prefer it to World’s Edge. However, when the Season 1 version was added, some players did realize that their fond memories of the map might have been due to nostalgia, as several of the old problems kept cropping up again. One primary complaint was a lack of loot, when compared to World’s Edge. We’ll have to wait and see if Respawn have made any changes to the loot pool this time around, in preparation for the new Ranked play split.

  • Kings Canyon and Mirage Voyage make surprise return to Apex Legends – Dexerto

Kings Canyon and Mirage Voyage make surprise return to Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentIn an impromptu update, Respawn Entertainment have delighted Apex Legends fans by bringing back both the Kings Canyon map and the Mirage Voyage point of interest for a limited time. The Apex community lit up with a blend of surprise and joy when users logged onto the popular battle royale and found out that Kings Canyon was reintroduced to the game’s playlist options. As an added bonus, the game’s most infamous party boat, the Mirage Voyage, also spontaneously re-emerged as a landing spot. A common emotional accompaniment to surprise is confusion and this geographical return was not lacking in either, according to Twitter reactions. The option to play on Kings Row was originally speculated to be a mistake because the playlist choice was only showing up for some players and mysteriously appearing then disappearing for others. But, following an official announcement from the Apex Legends Twitter account, it’s confirmed that the returns of Kings Canyon and Mirage Voyage are no mistake. In fact, they will be around for a full week. It’s party time. 😎 Kings Canyon, including the Mirage Voyage, is back in rotation now through Jan 21. pic.twitter.com/W9axaWZ07W — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) January 15, 2021 Echoing the enthusiasm of their fans, Apex’s social media account delivered the news with a simple nod to jubilations: “It’s party time.” And, as fans have been discovering in the brief time the map’s been made available, there are some tweaks to Kings Canyon and Mirage Voyage this time around — including some notable teasers and easter eggs. In one such piece of subtle content, there is a voicemail left to Mirage by his mother, Evelyn Witt, which can be found on a phone or tablet device that’s been left on one of the boat’s green couches. While it’s not a groundbreaking piece of lore, it does add to the game’s longrunning storylines. 🚨 Mirage has a message from his Mom on the ship! (via @shrugtal)pic.twitter.com/sUj36vmK4q — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 15, 2021 This marks the first time since August 2020 that Mirage Voyage is available to contest in Apex Legends and the first time ever that it has sailed into Kings Canyon instead of World’s Edge. This blend of returns is both a chance for nostalgia and for content overlap. Read more: Respawn locks in more Rampart buffs – Although the new playlist option will only be available until January 21, fans will be curious to know if this means Respawn intends on continuing to spontaneously bring back limited playlist offerings in the future.

  • Kill record-holder Mendo explains 5 powerful Apex Legends Wraith tricks – Dexerto

Kill record-holder Mendo explains 5 powerful Apex Legends Wraith tricks Former Overwatch pro Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkanssonhas detailed five tricks and exploits for getting the most out of Wraith in Apex Legends. After stepping down from the Houston Outlaws Overwatch League team to pursue content creation, Mendo has, like most popular streamers, turned his talents to Apex Legends since the game’s release. Mendo’s competitive pedigree has shone through in the new battle royale, as he recently claimed the solo kill record with an incredible 36 eliminations and took a surprising first in a Twitch Rivals Apex Legends tournament, outplacing the favorites of TSM’s professional Fortnite squad. Having demonstrated his considerable talent for Apex Legends, Mendo has now detailed five of the most useful and powerful tactics he uses as Wraith to gain an edge over his enemies. Mendo outlines how – and just as importantly, when – to execute the following tricks and tactics: Blocking doorways with Dimensional Rift With the Dimensional Rift being usable by all players and enterable from either side of each portal, it’s possible to use it to block doors. Place one end in a doorway, and while enemies will be able to come through from the other portal, those in the immediate vicinity will not be able to pass through without simply being transported away. This tactic is made even more powerful by the fact that you, as Wraith, can pass through the portal without taking it, as you cannot travel through the Dimensional Rift while using your Into the Void tactical ability. Leaving a portal high in the air Portal-baiting can be a powerful tactic as Wraith. If someone follows you through your Dimensional Rift you’re almost always going to have the advantage, as you know exactly where the enemy will appear be while they will have to take in their new surroundings and then try to figure out where you went. One way of maximizing the effectiveness of portal-baiting, however, is to leave one end of the rift high in the sky. Players coming out of the portal will fall in a predictable manner, giving you some free time to get damage in. View this post on Instagram Do you agree with this Apex Legends tier list?⠀ ⠀ #Gaming #Esports #ApexLegends #Legends #Ranking Phasing on a grapple Wraith’s Into the Void tactical ability – often referred to as “phasing” – is one of the more powerful abilities in the game, making you invulnerable for a brief period of time. This is especially useful when you’re on a grappling line. The uniform speed and direction of a grapple can make them quite dangerous, as if an enemy sees you heading towards them on one they’ll have a free opportunity to get some easy damage in. It’s possible to use your tactical ability to remain invulnerable while staying on the grapple, however, opening up opportunities that might otherwise be too risky. Resetting phase cooldown As already noted, Wraith’s phasing can be incredibly powerful, but it comes at the cost of a 15-second cooldown – long enough that you’re unlikely to make use of it more than once in a fight unless you can put enough distance between yourself and your opponents such that everyone pauses to heal up before re-engaging. There is a method to reduce the cooldown, however, although it requires quite specific circumstances. If you jump on a grappling line at the right time during the ability, then when it ends your cooldown will instead be reset. Making use of terrain can be key to success in Apex Legends. Double/infinite Dimensional Rifts Though it again requires a fairly specific circumstance, there is a way of using your Dimensional Rift without resetting the ability’s charge. By mantling and using your Into the Void at the same time as you begin your ultimate, the portal will still be placed when the charge runs down but your ultimate ability will still be available. This can either be used for an immediate second portal to maximize the distance you can cover in a short period of time, or replicated again as many times as you wish so long as you wait for the cooldown of Into the Void to reset each time. Mendo covers each trick with explanations and examples in the video below. With Wraith being one of the most popular Legends in the game, and arguably the most powerful, those looking to improve at the game would do well to master the use of these tricks and tactics.

  • Awesome new Kill Leader mechanic would spice up Apex Legends matches – Dexerto

Awesome new Kill Leader mechanic would spice up Apex Legends matches With Apex Legends being still just over two months old, it has a lot of room for improvement, and one players has proposed an idea that would make matches a lot more exciting. There is no doubting that a lot of matches in Apex Legends have the tendency to become slightly boring, especially during the middle stages. According to superstar streamer Shroud, this happens because too many players die too early during matches, causing the middle phase to drag on with little to no action. Idea for new Kill Leader mechanic in Apex Legends In order to counter the stages of matches that can start getting boring, Reddit user ‘Kialand’ has proposed an improvement to how the Kill Leader works in Apex Legends. As the name suggests, Kill Leader is the title given to any player in a match that has the most kills out of anyone on the map, and the only way they can lose this title is if another player surpasses their elimination total. Read More: Everything we know about leaked Apex Legends character Wattson – release date rumors, abilities and more – The proposed mechanic, which is very complex and multi-faceted, would essentially allow the Kill Leader to earn a sizable XP bonus but at the cost of revealing his or her location on the map. The way this mechanic would work is the Kill Leader, who must be out of combat, would be given the option of “issuing a challenge,” which involves pinging his or her location for all enemy players to see for a seven second period. In exchange for this risky decision, the Kill Leader would earn 2.5% Time Alive XP bonus for him or herself and an additional 1% XP bonus for all teammates. If an enemy player manages to take down the Kill Leader within 90 seconds after the “challenge” was issued, then the whole squad would receive a 1.5% XP bonus at the end of the match. Being the Kill Leader should make it feel like you are a High Risk, High Reward Target that should be hunted, feared and respected at the same time. Give the Kill Leader the option to gain a Time Alive XP Bonus, at the cost of pinging his location on the map to every other enemy still alive. from r/apexlegends Why this could be a good idea In addition to explaining all of the details of how this new mechanic would work, the Reddit user also gave insight for why the idea might really help improve Apex Legends. For one, it would be fully optional, so players would be able to avoid issuing challenges if they did not want to. Also, it would be only enabled for fully assembled teams, so randomly matched players would not have to deal with it. As a result, it would promote players to try and find teammates to play with rather than queuing in solo all the time, as they would then never be able to enjoy issuing challenges as the Kill Leader.

  • Key change to Apex Legends’ Legendary Attachment makes it far superior – Dexerto

Key change to Apex Legends’ Legendary Attachment makes it far superior Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends suffers from a lot of visual issues but simple changes can go a long way in helping them out, like this tweak to the Legendary Digital Threat attachment. Even though Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale has been a major hit with fans since its February 4 release, growing concerns with screen clutter and unnecessary visuals in the game are hindering a lot of people’s gameplay experience. In fact, various players and streamers like former Overwatch pro Seagull were bewildered by the amount of muzzle flash and overall visual distractions that clogged up his monitor when taking a fight in King’s Canyon. There are numerous design choices in Apex Legends that could be improved to enhance player’s game, like a slight but crucial redesign to optics found in the game. In a Reddit post, user ‘deadend1755’ made a simple but effective change to the Digital Threat by taking the old crosshair design inside the holo sights to a simple red dot with clears up the shot by a lot. “The current (Digital Threat sight) is big to be obstructive to balance it out,” deadend said. “The red dot would give more area to see but also be hard to aim on target so it would also balance it out in a way.” As an added note, they also think that changing the sight’s color from red to white would give players a much easier time of tracking enemies since they have a red outline in game. The change would be a quick redesign to how the Digital Threat looks like now, but it would clear up a lot of unneeded visuals to give players a cleaner shot on their target. Apex Legends players have been noting a lot of flaws with the game’s visual clutter. While Apex is one of the more satisfying battle royale experiences, there’s tons of small-scale improvements that can still be made to improve the game overall. Respawn Entertainment are always looking for new ways to give players a better time in their game, and it looks like this redesign is a popular idea among a lot of players.

MaxStrafe, an incredibly strong Ukrainian player, wasn’t able to travel to the biggest competitions due to current events in Ukraine. Not only did this roster get fifth place at the ALGS Year 2 Finals, they did it with RamBeau subbing in for MaxStrafe. Gnaske claimed after their fifth place finish that, “When we get you back @MaxStrafe we’re getting first place!” Signing a team with a player that may have issues traveling to international events is a bold move, and the Kansas City Pioneers have chosen to keep this roster together despite potential travel issues in the future. Hopefully, this off-season pickup for the KCP can aid MaxStrafe in getting to as many international competitions as possible. If so, this world-class roster may be even stronger in ALGS Year 3.

  • Japanese Apex Legends players keep getting banned for saying “run” – Dexerto

Japanese Apex Legends players keep getting banned for saying “run” RespawnAs Apex Legends continues to dominate as one of the top battle royale games available, some players in Japan are seeing their account suspended for saying “run” in their native language. Apex Legends took the world by storm when it released back in 2019. Now, two years later, it continues to be enjoyed by many players who have grown to appreciate the combination of hero shooter mechanics within a battle royale environment. One country that has interestingly taken to the EA title is Japan. So much so that the game’s director, Chad Grenier, has hinted that the Season 9 Legend will especially appeal to Japanese players. That is, of course, if those players can even play the game with their accounts suspended. In recent weeks, there have been several reports of players having their accounts banned for saying “nigero” – a Japanese word that translates to “run away.” Of course, it’s fairly obvious that upon first glance the word is very similar to a racial slur in English, but has an entirely different meaning. According to screenshots posted by players to Reddit and other sites, EA is suspending these accounts for “hate speech.” As part of the ban, as the screenshots indicate, the player had their account suspended for 168 hours – or one week – which is a significant amount of time. As explained by Redditor Tesg9029, the Japanese player was trying to tell a teammate to run in English, because enemies were approaching. However, when they didn’t understand, the player used the word after assuming his teammate was Japanese. Players on Reddit spoke out against the ban. “This is why I don’t use the text chat at all. They’ve been doing this type of thing for a while now. I’m not willing to risk my account, it affects gameplay because it limits [your] ability to communicate with your team!” one remarked. “That’s pretty stupid of Apex, maybe translate the chat first, if they don’t speak the language and then issue the ban if needed,” another chimed in. A lot of Japanese APEX legends players are getting banned for saying “”nigero”” — Shizu (@BepDelta) April 2, 2021 It’s unclear if these suspensions are automated or issued manually by moderators, but if it’s the latter, the fact these mistakes have been happening frequently certainly poses a bit of a problem, especially for Japanese players. This isn’t the first time that an Asian word has caused trouble for Western speakers. As the BBC has reported in the past, the Chinese word “nage,” which essentially translates to “that” has sparked quite a debate. So far, neither EA or Respawn have commented about this issue.

  • Jakenbake slams EA over “unplayable” Apex Legends servers – Dexerto

Jakenbake slams EA over “unplayable” Apex Legends servers Jakenbake TwitchTwitch streamer ‘JakenbakeLIVE’ was bewildered at the state of Apex Legends’s servers before calling out EA and Respawn Entertainment to fix the burgeoning problem. The Apex Legends community has been vocal about issues regarding numerous bugs and microtransactions since the launch of the game – but a prominent recurring dilemma among players has been the faulty servers hindering gameplay across regions. Analysis and breakdowns of the game’s netcode in the past revealed how lackluster the backend for Apex Legends can be, something Jakenbake experienced firsthand during his stream. The Diamond 4 ranked player has seen a ton of action in the four months he’s been playing Apex, but a series of unfortunate connection issues prompted him to pop off on the publisher and developers of the popular BR. “This is single-handedly the worst lag I’ve ever experienced, and this isn’t lag on my end,” he claimed. “This is server bulls**t packet loss. EA, Respawn, get your s**t together. You literally have a community of people that play this game. Streamers and content creators that carry the s**t out of your player base.” After looking to change his server from the available list in his nearby regions, the streamer didn’t see many options with better conditions. He went on to give a passionate tirade on the “simple things” that pros and community members have been asking from the devs, which haven’t yet come to pass. “For how long have [Respawn and EA] listened to the pros and content creators complain about the simple things that need to be fixed?” he continued. “And how long have they been ignored?” He called on the professional teams and players attending the $500,000 Apex Legends Global Series Major in Arlington, Texas on March 13 to show up without mouse and keyboards, and refuse to enter the Esports Stadium until Respawn fixes their game. While there might have been a comedic element to his speech, it comes from an honest place: In his time getting to know pro players and seeing the complaints of the community, Jake thinks EA and Respawn should “fix [Apex Legends’s problems] before hosting a tournament” for it. Prior to addressing the Apex community, Jake got into a match riddled with questionable packet loss, players popping in and out of frames, and bizarre animations with his weapons. The game with his friends before that was unceremoniously ended by a second group of hackers he had come across that night. Jakenbake briefly became the megaphone for the Apex Legends community, aiming his discontent with the state of the game toward the developers in hopes that major fixes come sooner than later.

  • Is wallrunning and superjumping coming to Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Is wallrunning and superjumping coming to Apex Legends? Respawn EntertainmentA number of new Apex Legends leaks have surfaced following the games March 6 update, with the latest leak suggesting that new movement changes could be added soon. Data miners have been doing their best to dig through the game’s files since the recent update – trying to find what’s coming next to the hugely popular free-to-play battle royale title. Multiple new things have already been found. Two new weapons, a Flamethrower and Remote Turret, were uncovered on March 8, while hints at an in-game ‘night mode’ plus a ‘Community Happy Hour’ were also revealed later in the day. Now, there have been more hints at the possible additions of wallrunning and superjumping. Wallrunning is a key gameplay element from Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall series and has been rumored for Apex Legends since its launch on February 4. Thanks to @RealApexLeaks, it looks like there have been more files added to the game for wallrunning – which could completely change how the game plays and open up a whole new level of verticality for players. Code has also been uncovered regarding superjumping, which was also a part of the Titanfall series – allowing players to reach great heights with ease. However, these files could simply be leftovers from the Titanfall series, as Apex Legends had originally started life as the third installment in the popular franchise. A number of leaks, that surfaced shortly after the arrival of Apex Legends, have already been dismissed as files from the original Titanfall 3 development. There is also no official word on if these movement elements will be released into the game. However, if they are added, it’s possible that it could be implemented with the start of Apex Legends’ Season One update – which is expected at some point in March. Respawn have already noted that a number of characters will see major tuning with the release of season one – which means additional changes to the game are not out of the question. As with any leak, there’s a chance we may never see these aspects added at all due to one reason or another.

  • Is this a new Legend for Apex Legends? Pathfinder’s Stories from the Outlands – Dexerto

Is this a new Legend for Apex Legends? Pathfinder’s Stories from the Outlands Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ newest Stories from the Outlands episode focused on the history of Pathfinder, including how he got his grapple, but also showed us a never-seen-before character, Victor Maldera. Here’s what went down and what it could all mean. Pathfinder’s episode starts with him waiting tables at a restaurant where Victor is running security. Before this though, we discover that he was previously a homicide detective and decorated “hero cop,” in the city of Malta. The events of this video take place in 2725 – roughly eight years before the current timeline of Apex Legends. While waiting tables, a clumsy Pathfinder is attacked, which sets off a chain reaction and ends up in a massive chase through the city. While we also get some insight into who created Pathfinder – with some hints that it could even be Wattson’s mother – it’s actually Maldera that gets our interest piqued most. Who is Victor Maldera? An ex-cop on the Malta Police Force, he was kicked off the force for his handling of the case against Alexander Nox, a.k.a Caustic, after he refused to be reassigned to another case and had a fight with his commanding officer. Now, he’s still on the hunt for Caustic, and when he discovered that Pathfinder had more recordings of him in his memory, was determined to get them out of him. So, we know that Maldera has a vendetta against Caustic, and is willing to go the great lengths to track him down. This certainly points to him possibly becoming a Legend in the future. After all, he wouldn’t be the first Legend to join the games in search of revenge – Loba found her way to Kings Canyon in pursuit of Revenant. But with Respawn, you never know for sure – just like Forge, they could have different tricks up their sleeve. Read More: Wallrunning is a “bad fit” for Apex Legends – Speaking of Forge, it turns out Maldera was actually friends with Forge, who Revenant killed before taking his place in the Apex Games in Season 4. We know this thanks to a photo frame in the episode. This could be another reason for Maldera to join the games, with revenge to carry out on Forge too. Other factors also line-up, as he’s clearly proficient in combat and knows how to handle a gun – a necessary trait for a Legend. Read More: New Bloodhound skydive emotes coming – While we don’t know for sure what will become of Maldera, it’s certain that this won’t be the last we see or hear from him. Respawn have set up a very interesting new character. Is Pathfinder’s creator Wattson’s mother? We get our first glimpse of Pathfinder’s creator in this episode too, and her name is Amelie P. We don’t see the surname, but Apex fans are already theorizing that it could be Wattson’s mother, surname Paquette. Amelie also sounds French, so this could line up. There’s so much more in this 7 minute video that would take a very long time to break down entirely. If we spot any other major details or hints, we’ll keep you updated. For now, let’s all hope Maldera is suiting up to be a new Legend in the Apex Games.

  • Is there fall damage in Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Is there fall damage in Apex Legends? Respawn EntertainmentJumping from great heights in a lot of battle royales can result in a painful and immediate death, but can fall damage kill you in Apex Legends? Unlike Warzone, each of the characters in Apex Legends have a distinct set of abilities that set them apart from other Legends on the roster. Some of these abilities revolve around repositioning or launching teammates in a certain direction through the air. An example of this would be Octane’s Launch Pad, Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive, or Horizon’s Gravity Lift. Not only that, features like Gravity Cannons and Redeployment Balloons shoot players into the air. allowing them to reposition on the map. So, with all these abilities, can you die from fall damage? Can fall damage kill you in Apex Legends? The short is answer is no, fall damage cannot kill you Apex Legends no matter what health you’re on when you fall from a great height. It’s worth noting that after landing, there will be a short delay before you can start sprinting. The only Legend this doesn’t apply to is Horizon as her Passive ensures she always lands softly and maintains her momentum. So, if you’re new to Apex Legends and you’re worried about jumping down from a cliff or falling from a huge height after using Valk’s jets, there’s no need to worry about taking fall damage. Respawn would never add it to the game as it wouldn’t work alongside the countless Legend abilities that launch teammates into the air.

  • Apex Legends cross-progression explained & how to merge accounts – Dexerto

Apex Legends cross-progression explained & how to merge accounts Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends cross-progression allows you to continue where you left off in the game across various platforms. Let’s delve into the details of it and what it entails for players. You never know when you could end up switching devices with multiplayer games. But thanks to cross-progression you can play the game on one platform and carry over your progress to another. This feature ensures that players can access all their essential in-game content, such as weapons, skins, and heirlooms, on any platform by linking their accounts across various devices. How does cross-progression work Cross-progression means that players with more than one account in Apex Legends are now offered the chance to merge their accounts in the game. Merging accounts is mandatory, and the highest level account you own will be the ‘master account.’ Cosmetics and other items from your other accounts will be merged with this one. When was cross-progression added to Apex Legends? Cross-progression was added to Apex Legends at the start of Season 19, which began on October 31, 2023. The availability of this feature on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch means if you have an account on Xbox or PlayStation, you can use this same account on the PC version, and vice-versa. Players on PC could already link their account to Steam via the EA App and carry their progress over. Similarly, you could already carry your progress from previous console generations (e.g. PS4 to PS5). That’s all there is to know about cross-progression in Apex Legends. You can check out how to get Heirloom Shards in the game or take a look at how to get a higher FPS to get an edge over other players.

  • Is the Peacekeeper still overpowered following latest Apex Legends nerfs? – Dexerto

Is the Peacekeeper still overpowered following latest Apex Legends nerfs? Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment released an update on December 5 nerfing the Peacekeeper in Apex Legends, so now the question remains whether the controversial shotgun is still overpowered or not. The Peacekeeper has been the focus of most Apex Legends players’ complaints over the past few months due to it being too overpowered and difficult to deal with. Respawn addressed that with a server patch on December 5 that implemented across-the-board nerfs to the shotgun, along with a single change to both the EVA-8 and Precision Choke Hop-Up. Peacekeeper nerfed in Dec 5 Apex Legends update Decreased bolt (pellet) hit size This makes it more difficult to hit “full chunks of damage” while still ensuring that shots continue to feel consistent. Increased shot spread Decreased the range at which the Peacekeeper can still be used for maximum damage. Players are now be forced to get closer to their enemies in order to inflict 100+ points of damage with single shots. Increased spread on final Precision Choke level While this was a nerf to the Precision Choke, it still affects the Peacekeeper because it’s one of two weapons that the Hop-Up can be used with. The range at which a fully charged-up shot does full damage has been decreased. Did these Peacekeeper nerfs work? When this update went live, players weren’t so quick to praise the developers just yet, wary of the previous Peacekeeper tuning update they released on November 22 that didn’t really do much in terms of limiting the weapon. However, early indications are that this patch actually did have a major impact on the viability of the weapon, as it now appears to no longer be so overpowered as it was before. Prominent Apex YouTuber ‘The Gaming Merchant’ did some analysis with the shotgun in Firing Range following the update and discovered that this series of nerfs have been more impactful than the previous ones. “In my testing, I can definitely say this is a big nerf, this isn’t like the previous nerf,” he said. “This one is very sizable and the Peacekeeper is more in line of what it was before and its long-range potential has been reduced as well. I was kind of using this as a makeshift sniper rifle at times, so it’s not going to be as effective.” That said, The Gaming Merchant wasn’t ready to knock the Peacekeeper off its perch as one of the stronger weapons, saying that it was still very viable at close range with some long-range potential. “I did feel like it’s still pretty good at getting long-range shots,” he revealed. “If you get close enough, you’re still going to do damage with the Peacekeeper.” What else do these changes mean for other weapons? The YouTuber went on to also discuss how these changes will have implications for other weapons as well, including the R-99 and Mozambique, the only shotgun that did not get nerfed int his update. “Mozambique with Hammerpoint Rounds is actually kind of brought up a tier,” he explained. “I do think this change will mean everyone is just going to go back to the R-99, which, to me, is better than a low-skill ceiling on the Peacekeeper.” Only time will tell whether the majority of the player-base agrees with The Gaming Merchant’s assessments about these Peackeeper nerfs and their lasting effects, but for now, it appears that the changes are being received positively.

  • Is Skull Town coming back to Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Season 14? – Dexerto

Is Skull Town coming back to Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Season 14? Respawn EntertainmentSkull Town is one of the most iconic POIs in Apex Legends history, but is the fan-favorite location returning with Kings Canyon in Season 14? While Fragment is the hot drop of choice for the majority of players in Season 13, back at the release of Apex Legends, it was Kings Canyon’s Skull Town that held that title. The iconic POI’s huge radius and enclosed loot-filled buildings led to endless chaotic gunfights in every single match, until the location was finally destroyed in Season 5. While it has returned briefly during limited-time events, Respawn has never re-introduced Skull Town back to Kings Canyon permanently despite countless requests from players. Well, that may be about to change, as a set of hints and clues are suggesting that Kings Canyon could be coming back in Season 14, but most likely not in its original form. Respawn drop multiple that Skull Town is returning in Season 14 The first clue surrounding the return of Skull Town came with the Lifeline Town Takeover that was added with the Awakening Collection Event. As showcased by reliable leaker KralRindo, a set of magazines can be found in the building that reveal the “salvage operation” on Kings Canyon is complete. Not only that, the booklets tease players with another mysterious line about the fan-favorite POI: “Say hello to Kings Canyon’s new relic”. This suggests that if we do see Skull Town back in Season 14, it likely won’t be the OG location that we remember, so expect a huge amount of changes. The next big clues came with the anime-style trailer that was released to celebrate the Gaiden thematic event. Eagle-eyed members of the Apex community quickly noticed that the action-packed cinematic is set in Skull Town, which is strange considering Kings Canyon isn’t in the Season 13 rotation. So, a lot of players are taking this as a hint that the iconic POI will be returning in early August with the major update. Although we haven’t had any concrete announcements from Respawn about the return of Skull Town, the evidence is mounting up and players are getting extremely excited. Let’s hope the devs deliver the good news in early August and allow the community to revisit one of Apex’s most iconic POIs.

  • Is Revenant replacing Forge in Apex Legends Season 4? – Dexerto

Is Revenant replacing Forge in Apex Legends Season 4? EARespawn Entertainment released a teaser diving into new lore for newly announced Apex Legends character Forge and what his bloody encounter with Revenant means for Season 4. The battle royale is close to its one-year launch anniversary on February 4 and it looks like the devs are brewing something special to commemorate the event – even if it comes at the expense of the 5x Hyper-Fighting Federation Champion. Leaks for the game have been consistently pitting Revenant as the next in line to enter the Apex Games, and while that might be true, players were taken aback when Forge was announced as the Season 4 headliner in Respawns blog update. A statement from OTV regarding the events that took place earlier today. pic.twitter.com/QvnrrBBRN6 — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) January 27, 2020 But the dev’s January 27 “special episode” starring James (Jimmie) ‘The Forge’ McCormick and Outlands Television host Lisa Stone threw a wrench in players’ perception of who’s really coming to the battlegrounds when the new season hits. The faux interview introduces Forge as he “finally” qualifies to enter the Games, but things abruptly turns gruesome when we the Mask of the Red Death, Revenant makes its sudden appearance. There’s a lot of elements in the trailer that’s emblematic to what’s happening in Apex Legends’ development, and Respawn aren’t being subtle with their approach. “Hammond Robotics has had my back the entire way,” Forge said just before the vengeful bot Revenant made his on-screen debut behind him. The name of the feature segment “Up Close and Personal” was also foreshadowing how it was going to play out, with Revenant sneaking behind the newly appointed contestant of the Apex Games. Now even EA’s Season 4 page was updated in a meta confirmation that Forge might not be coming to Apex, that is if Respawn isn’t planning yet another trick that will see “the often imitated” fallen favored son of the Outlands. Meanwhile, it should be no surprise that Revenant will take his place in the game, if the “mysterious Legend” on the update page is to be an indication. Respawn’s bait-and-switch didn’t fool some of the more devote loremasters for Apex Legends, who were hot on the trail of clues that stemmed long before the Season 4 blog detailing the upcoming chapter for the game. Though there’s a good indication of the developer’s intentions, considering the new signage up in World’s Edge, it’ll be exciting for fans to see how Respawn unpacks the next major storyline in Apex Legends.

  • Is PvE mode coming to Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Is PvE mode coming to Apex Legends? Apex Legends has taken the battle royale genre by storm, but fans have noticed that it is missing a dedicated player-versus-environment (PvE) mode. So can we expect PvE to come to the Apex Games? If so, when? PvE modes are well-favored across multiple titles. From Overwatch to Fortnite, various blockbuster games have put their own spin on the game type. The premise is simple: progress through a campaign of missions versus AI-controlled enemies until you reach the end objective (often a final boss), either alone or with a squad. A typical example of co-op PvE modes are the various ‘Raids’ from Bungie’s Destiny franchise. What do we know about PvE in Apex Legends? While battle royales don’t exactly go hand-in-hand with PvE modes, Fortnite’s ‘Save the World’ survival game mode has been a big hit. However, given the Apex Games’ detailed ties and extensive lore embedded deep within the Titanfall universe, there is scope for elaborate storylines to bridge the gap between Apex Legends and Titanfall. Reputable data miner, ‘That1MiningGuy,’ has previously delved deep into the game files (way back in Season 2), where he revealed various missions and objectives pertaining to a potential PvE mode. Moreover, there have been subtle hints dropped by Respawn through the non-player characters (NPCs) which have surfaced in-game. Flyers were added during Season 1, where they would fly around Kings Canyon and drop deathboxes filled with loot. There have been reported ties of the flying attacker joining giant spiders in the roster of creatures that you’d have to fend off as part of the leaked PvE mode. Community’s call to arms While there have been multiple hints dropped at a potential PvE game mode, there is no doubt that there is a void there to be filled. A recent easter egg was discovered on the Firing Range by Apex Legends’ attentive community, which showcased the first incidence of an NPC fighting back. Since NPCs are the crux to any PvE modes, this discovery confirms that the script to run a mode is planted in the game files. There is an evident demand for a survival-esque game mode to make an appearance, with plenty of fans unearthing hidden voice quips for NPCs on the Apex Legends subreddit. When can we expect PvE in Apex Legends? Season 3 is expected to end on Feb 3, with Season 4 set to kick-off on Feb 4 — exactly one year after the Respawn’s surprise launch of the battle royale. When better to debut a brand new game mode which would change the landscape of their flagship title? Although nothing is officially confirmed at the time of writing, there are plenty of hidden treasures and lore which are certainly pointing towards a PvE mode being introduced.

  • Is Apex Legends getting live events in Season 6? – Dexerto

Is Apex Legends getting live events in Season 6? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 7 is drawing nearer but more leaks and teasers have been pointing towards some possible live events appearing in-game before the end of the sixth season. Here’s everything we know so far. The sixth Apex Legends season introduced plenty of fresh content for players to unpack, with the arrival of Rampart, the Volt SMG, massive map changes, and more. Although a new map was initially rumored to arrive on August 18, it didn’t come to fruition, with many now hoping that Season 7 could bring them to a brand new arena. Season 7 is expected to arrive on Thursday, November 10. However, with just over a month to go, many signs have been leading fans to believe we could see some major in-game events taking place before then. Will Apex Legends have a live event for Season 6? While previous teasers and leaks have pointed towards the cast of Legends traveling to another planet, Olympus, the Season 6 map changes added plenty of fuel to the rumors, with a new rocket appearing on the World’s Edge. Prominent Apex leaker shrugtal previously claimed that these “live events” were expected to arrive in Season 6, and that they could possibly be linked to this rocket, as some kind of countdown is expected to take place. Another leaker, Biast12, also shared similar information, revealing that the upcoming Aftermarket update, on Tuesday, October 6, would mark the start of this “story event.” a little reminder that “”s06_story_event_devices_start_countdown”” is starting here this Tuesday https://t.co/ZgPDZ8yFiN — Biast12 (@Biast12) October 3, 2020 However, with the first signs of a live event expected to arrive in the coming days, some Respawn devs have even been dropping hints about what could be coming to the game shortly. When discussing the release of the latest Apex comics, Apex Legends writer Tommy Casiello hinted that fans “won’t have to wait” for the Season 7 trailer to learn more about the future of the characters. You won’t have to wait for the trailer… 😁 https://t.co/7k51b5FT5c — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) October 3, 2020 While it is still unclear just what changes this rumored live event will bring, with only days to go until its expected release, Apex Legends players won’t have to wait much longer to find out.

  • Is a Dual Wield Hop-Up coming in Apex Legends Season 4? – Dexerto

Is a Dual Wield Hop-Up coming in Apex Legends Season 4? There isn’t much information out there about what to expect in Season 4 of Apex Legends, but there’s a chance a new Dual Wield Hop-Up could be added. With Season 3 slowly winding down in Apex Legends, a lot of players and fans are already starting to look ahead to what new content Season 4 will bring to the popular battle royale. While we do know that there will be a new Legend and weapon, as has been the case with the first three seasons, but what else will be added? A Dual Wield Hop-Up, perhaps? Dual Wield has been common in a lot of first-person-shooters, most notably Call of Duty, allowing players to hold two of certain weapons in each hand, and essentially double their firepower. Read More: Is PvE mode coming to Apex Legends? – The drawback to this, of course, is that accuracy is considerably decreased since you are not able to aim down the sights of the weapons, instead forced to hip-fire with each one. Clues for possible Dual Wield Hop-Up in Apex Legends While there hasn’t been too much leaked about a possible Dual Wield Hop-Up, fans have found clues potentially pointing to it being added in the game at some point. In the Season 3 launch trailer, Crypto can be seen holding two P2020 semi-automatic pistols, one in each hand. While that can be written off as just being something to make the trailer look cool, a recent content reveal video from Respawn Entertainment themselves shows Lifeline holding two pistols in-game, seemingly a recreation of one of her banner poses. Furthermore, data-miners found some coding in the back-end game files that referenced ‘akimbo’ being a fire mode for some weapons. Granted, that was way back in Season 2, but late doesn’t have to mean never, as the developers might have not seen it fit to add the Hop-Up then, but could do so in Season 4. A breakdown of all of this information can be found in the video below, courtesy of popular Apex YouTuber ‘TheGamingMerchant.’ How would Dual Wield work in Apex Legends? If Respawn do end up adding the Hop-Up in Season 4, the question then would become how do they plan on it functioning? It would obviously be limited to pistol-type weapons only such as the Wingman, RE-45, and P2020. By the looks of it, based on the leaked coding, the Dual Wield function would be an option for players to turn on and off whenever they want, much like the Selectfire Receiver. Read More: When to expect first Apex Season 4 teaser – This could be very handy, of course, because it would allow players to be able to enable it for close-quarter combat and then disable it if they want to aim-in from longer range. The developers would likely take extra precautions to ensure it doesn’t become to overpowered, either by making adjustments to how the weapons fire in Dual Wield mode, and/or making the Hop-Up be very rare and thus hard to come by.

  • “Invisible wall” bug on Apex Legends map costs player the win – Dexerto

“Invisible wall” bug on Apex Legends map costs player the win Apex Legends has a history of strange bugs throughout its short lifespan, but an untimely discovery of an invisible wall glitch couldn’t have appeared at a worse moment for one player. Respawn Entertainment is now in its third season for its popular battle royale title. While the game has vastly improved since launch, there are still moments when players find bizarre bugs that can hinder their Apex Legends experience. Ever since players were shipped off to World’s Edge (the new location of the Apex Games), users sometimes find that the new locale has its fair share of glitches to be ironed out. Invisible wall has immediate effects In a Reddit post, user ‘SayHiToB0b’ highlighted a strange slip up from the Respawn devs, as it seems they left an extra bit of obstruction out in the open – catching the player completely off guard. In a dire situation, the player was trying to evade an attacking Bloodhound. Playing as Wraith, they had a ton of escape options at their disposal, but they weren’t counting on being stopped in their tracks. As the fourth round was just starting, the player was relying on a bit of trickery to evade the attacking enemy. After seemingly outrunning the Bloodhound, they wanted to jump down over the cliff the had just scaled. It was here that they came into contact with an invisible wall, noting that it wasn’t only stopping them from advancing – it was pushing them back. “Lost my 4K badge to an invisible wall,” SayHiToB0b said before detailing the bug’s effect on their game. “The wall is pushing me towards him instead of letting me fall down.” Even though it looked as if they could have easily walked off the ledge, the video shows their character model moving in the first person POV – but they’re not advancing forward. Instead, without the ability to go forward, the player was forced to turn around and face the Technological Tracker, which led to a quick elimination. With only three squads left in the game – and SayHiToB0b registering almost four thousand damage done by the time they were eliminated – they must have felt that a good chance at winning a match was taken away from them. In either case, a bug this obvious would be something at the top of the list for Respawn to quickly patch out, seeing as it could lead to unfortunate situations.

  • Invisible platform on Apex Legends’ Storm Point is perfect for late game – Dexerto

Invisible platform on Apex Legends’ Storm Point is perfect for late game Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has found an invisible platform above Cascade Falls on the new Storm Point map, which will be perfect for elevated safety in late game scenarios. Storm Point dropped back in November with the start of Season 11, bringing a new tropical environment to Apex Legends. It followed Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus as the battle royale’s fourth major map, and has been praised by fans for its look and flow. However, a number of bugs and glitches have emerged on the new map and, one discovered by Redditor Dirty_Skirty could actually constitute an elevated safe-haven, perfect for chaotic late game scenarios. Above the Cascade Falls POI, which sits fairly centrally on the Storm Point map, one Redditor discovered an invisible platform after using Octane’s Jump Pad. From there, they are able to survey large parts of the map and evade the line-of-sight of plenty of nearby enemies. While it might put players using it in a vulnerable spot when the circle is still large, a small circle could be monitored completely from the elevated position. It would also be the last place remaining opponents would think to look. Users speculated that the platform was caused by a ‘collision block’ not being eliminated. Either way, it’s a glitch that is sure to frustrate any players who fall to enemies using the elevated power position. It’s also not clear whether there’s other areas with similar issues on Storm Point – some Redditors responded to say that they have found similar invisible platforms, including another near Cascade Falls. Respawn have not yet responded to the problems but we expect to see them isolate and solve the issues in a future patch. Until then, players can use the invisible platform for their own advantage.

  • Instant revive bug in Apex Legends hurts players more than it helps – Dexerto

Instant revive bug in Apex Legends hurts players more than it helps A bug in Apex Legends is letting people instantly bypass the long wait that it takes to get revived, but players are finding that it actually does more harm than good. Respawn Entertainment have added a swarm of content to their battle royale since the launch of Season 3. From the new map and Legend packaged with the launch of Season 3 to the Fight or Fright holiday Shadowfall LTM that took over the Halloween weeks. Now players are diving into the long-requested Duos LTM that’s delivering fast-paced action in concise spurts, as there’s less clutter on the battlefield with two-player squads. Better off dead if you can’t loot Twitch streamer ‘Leovanthy’ was in a heated firefight with another duo, when he went all-in on the enemy squad. Even though he managed to take one player out, he was quickly traded soon after. Luckily, their duo was able to pick up the slack and finish off the remaining foe. It was then when their teammate came to pick up the downed streamer, but it didn’t take as long as it should. It seems like the teammate just barely tapped the revive button, and the streamer was instantly revived. While it seems like they were able to catch a lucky break since they didn’t have to wait the six-odd seconds out in the open to get Leovanthy back up, it ended up bugging the rest of the match for the streamer. Not only did the streamer say that they couldn’t “hear” they also attempted to loot the death boxes of the fallen enemies to no avail. Thinking on their feet, they threw a Thermite Grenade underneath them to see if getting knocked down again would fix the issues but they were actually instantly taken out. Unfortunately, the bug’s effects didn’t stop there. A little while later, their teammate was able to bring them back via a Respawn Beacon but the issues persisted. The glitch apparently didn’t let their character ‘Interact’ with elements in the game, which prevented the streamer from picking up weapons or looting death boxes. A bug as detrimental as this could cause headaches for a lot of players, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Respawn looks to patch it out sooner than later.

  • Instant reload exploit has broken the Rampage again in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Instant reload exploit has broken the Rampage again in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA new exploit has been discovered for the Rampage LMG and it allows players to instantly reload the gun by canceling the animation. Season 12 of Apex Legends is well underway with players causing havoc across the Outlands with the Rebel Warlord Mad Maggie and enjoying the fast-paced Control LTM before it’s removed in early March. Despite the overwhelming praise for all of the new additions that arrived in the major update, not everything is working as intended in Defiance. After causing massive issues for the devs in Escape, the Rampage LMG is broken again in Season 12 and this time it involves an instant reload exploit. This makes it easy for those abusing the bug to come out on top in gunfights as they can continuously fire without having to wait for the animation. OP Rampage glitch is instantly reloading the gun As showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, the Rampage LMG is broken again in Defiance, but this time it revolves around the reload animation. Similar to an Octane reload bug discovered in Season 11, it’s now possible to instantly reload the Rampage using an exploit that only requires a holospray. By emptying the full mag on a Rampage and then throwing out a holospray mid-animation, a player can skip the reload time completely and continuously fire the gun at an opponent. Of course, while this glitch is incredibly easy to execute, it’s advised not to use it in-game or you do risk receiving a ban from Respawn. This is definitely an exploit the devs will need to fix as soon as possible or some members of the community may start to abuse the bug in Ranked. Without having to worry about a reload animation, players can put a huge amount of pressure on their opponents, and likely win the majority of their gunfights. For now, it’s just a case of waiting for a fix but with Respawn cracking down on players abusing glitches, it’s likely bans will be handed out to those who use this in their matches.

  • Instant crash location found on Kings Canyon in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Instant crash location found on Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a spot inside Labs that is sending their game into a spin and crashing repeatedly – leading them to be a free kill for enemy players. At the start of Apex Legends Season 5, Kings Canyon’s Singh Labs – more commonly referred to as just Labs – saw a number of changes to both its interior and exterior in order to make it a “viable landing spot.” As a result of the changes, the area is now a haven for players who are looking to get into early fights – even if they can’t find much loot and have to melee each other. However, a new problem has arisen with a spot inside that is apparently causing players’ games to repeatedly crash. The new issue was pointed out by Reddit user WackyHat, who showcased a video from a recent trios game on Kings Canyon. As their trio was sat inside Labs, you’d be forgiven for thinking their video was frozen as there was barely any movement. Though, as the trio shuffled towards a certain corner, WackyHat was sent back to the main menu and greeted with an error message. Even though they were able to rejoin their teammates the Redditor watched on as they were also disconnected. As WackyHat jumped back into the corner once more, their game was frozen – seemingly on their way to another disconnection. As the Redditor noted that it had happened a few more times to their team later, others pointed out that they’d experienced similar problems inside Labs – leading to multiple crashes for themselves and their teammates. Others noted that it could be a problem with weapons and death boxes being too close to the wall that is sending the game into a spin. However, regardless of what is causing the issue, it is certainly one that Respawn will want to investigate. If players have to avoid a certain part of the map for the fear of crashing, that could have some pretty big ramifications on matches – especially when it comes to having a potentially bugged spot inside the safe zone.

  • How to get third person mode in Apex Legends firing range – Dexerto

How to get third person mode in Apex Legends firing range Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has a third-person mod, believe it or not, as an easter egg in the firing range. Although it was once removed, it’s now back. Here’s how to activate it and play in 3rd person view in Apex. Apex Legends’ enduring popularity is a testament to Respawn’s excellent game design, with attention to detail clear in almost all aspects of the battle royale. That remains true when it comes to the game’s firing range as well, with easter eggs available for players to unlock. One of the most popular easter eggs players have discovered is the third-person mode. It was briefly removed from the game when Respawn caused death when switching Legends, but it finally returned in Apex Legends Season 11 as part of update 1.84. How to activate third-person mode in Apex Legends Activating third-person mode in Apex Legends is pretty easy, just follow these exact steps: Once in the firing range, you’ll need to travel to one of the far corners. This is easiest as Pathfinder (but certainly doable as other legends like Ash or Horizon, with movement abilities). – Grapple onto the champion banner on the right side of the map, before swinging round to a ledge that stands behind it. – Once here, you’ll see a small bush that you’ll need to stand in. You’ll need to go right into the corner of the map (which is pretty much inside the bush), and then crouch. – Once crouched, simply change character and an audio cue will play to let you know that you’ve successfully changed into third-person mode. This will be reflected in your visuals. – It’s important to note, too, that you need a completely clear inventory in order to pull this off. Below, courtesy of YouTuber ‘RazorOnYT‘, is the same tutorial, simply in video form. Some fans were initially confused as to whether it was a visual bug, but former Apex dev Jason McCord, replied with the side-eyes emoji when it first gained traction on Reddit. This was taken as confirmation of its intentional addition to Apex Legends, and perhaps a signal that there are many more easter eggs for players to discover. However, as cool as a third-person mode would be in normal Apex Legends (even making an appearance as an LTM in Season 3), it’s currently only achievable in the game’s firing range. Read More: Best Legends to use in Apex Legends – In terms of other easter eggs, there are almost certainly going to be some that have not yet been discovered. Whether in firing range or on the new maps, it’s worth jumping in and trying to find them.

  • Insane “super jump” exploit in Apex Legends found on World’s Edge – Dexerto

Insane “super jump” exploit in Apex Legends found on World’s Edge Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a nifty new movement technique that lets them super jump high above opponents, but it’s limited to one specific spot on World’s Edge. Over the last few years of Apex Legends, players have constantly been looking to get a leg-up on the competition in new and unusual ways. Some have focused on legend compositions and playing games slowly, while others are all about their movement skills. We’ve seen plenty of wild movement tricks in the past, including bouncing on ziplines, making yourself impossible to hit with bunny hops, and even jumping across the map. Well, they don’t really hold a candle to a new technique that players have uncovered, as it lets them soar high into the sky while in one of the battle royale’s most controversial locations. Apex Legends super jump technique at Fragment It was something YouTuber TheEvilnside, who has found plenty of movement tricks too, highlighted on January 4, claiming to be the first person to have found this particular trick. It involves running directly towards the elevator shaft on the building in Fragment that some refer to as the ‘streamer building’ – but it’s not the one with the broken roof, loot bins, and recon point. Once you hit the edge of the tunnel exit, you jump and start to move backwards at the same time. This launches you into the sky on World’s Edge, but you can soar even higher once you’ve mastered the speed and timing. The YouTuber notes that it can be down at the different levels in the building, but not on the bottom floor. The reason being that there is magnetism towards the elevator shaft that will propel players skywards. There have been rumors that Fragment is going to undergo a facelift at some point, with these buildings being adjusted, so the trick might not be around for too long if players really abuse it.

  • Insane stats of first Apex Legends player to hit 100,000 kills – Dexerto

Insane stats of first Apex Legends player to hit 100,000 kills One dedicated Apex Legends player, ‘TermK47’, has become the first player in the world to reach 100,000 kills in Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall-inspired battle royale. Since its February release Apex Legends has been captivating players with its 60-person battle royale, featuring a host of unique legends for players to use. It is coming off the back of its best financial month since launch, with the acclaimed Season 3 catapulting it up to ninth on the list of highest Console title for October. However, in a player-base of millions, one stands out in terms of enemies vanquished. Xbox One player ‘TermK47’ shared his stats on Twitter on December 5, as he became the first player in the world to hit 100,000 kills on Apex Legends. It is not surprising to see that Lifeline is Term’s most used legend, with the in-game medic being an incredibly popular pick among professional and casual competitors. A whopping 96,273 of his 100,000 kills have come with Lifeline. However, the rest of his stats also make for some seriously impressive reading. In Season 3 alone, which started just over two months ago at the time of his tweet, he had amassed 543 wins, and over 22,000 kills. 11 months of grinding and we finally did it boys 100k kills let’s fucking go! @PlayApex pic.twitter.com/493ynCVVyy — Term (@TermK47) December 5, 2019 Over the course of his career, he has less than 19,000 deaths, giving him an overall K/D ratio of 5.34. Similarly, his devotion is obvious to see when considering the fact that he has over 2,500 wins on Apex Legends, and has played over 22,000 matches since the game’s release. Released on February 4, and with the milestone attained on December 5, we calculate that Term has averaged approximately 73 games per day since the game’s release. This figure is assuming he has taken no breaks from playing. Thanks to ApexTracker.gg, we can see that his 100,000 kills put him nearly 10,000 ahead of the nearest competitor, a PC player called ‘Twitch_Apryze’ who, at the time of writing, sits at just over 91,000. Finally, Term’s total damage is a whopping 4.65 million, and reinforces his standing as one of the world’s top casual players. Term can be found regularly streaming at his Twitch channel, or uploading via YouTube.

  • Insane stat shows why DarkZero are ALGS Championship favorites – Dexerto

Insane stat shows why DarkZero are ALGS Championship favorites Joe Brady/ ALGSDarkZero have been dubbed favorites to win the ALGS Championship based on their previous LAN performances and the team’s damage stats from the group stage show that they are still in great form. DarkZero Esports are coming into the 2023 ALGS Championship as the favorites to win the entire tournament. The squad is coming into the event in great form after winning the Split 2 Playoffs back in July and finishing second in the Split 2 of the North American pro league. While the team has gone through some roster experimentation with Rick ‘Sharky’ Wirth moving to the bench in April, the changes haven’t seemed to impact their performance. DarkZero has since settled on a lineup of Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry, Noyan ‘Genburten’ Ozkose and Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler. At the 2023 ALGS Championship, this roster exited the group stage in the top spot with 176 total points and a place in the winner’s bracket. The team cleared the second-best team in the group stage, BLVKHVND, by 17 points. DarkZero far and away the best team so far at ALGS Champs Total points weren’t the only number that DarkZero dominated in the group stage as their coach revealed the player’s overall damage statistics on social media. “Pretty big gap there,” DarkZero head coach Nicholas ‘zz’ said. The chart showed that all three of his players were the top-ranked damage dealers across the entire group stage. Zer0 and Xynew were the top two with over 20,000 damage done over the course of 17 games with Genburten only slightly behind at 18,877 damage. The next closest player in terms of damage across the entire stage was BLVKHVND player Muamar Fahri ‘EzFlash’ Abrar with 15,887 damage done. DarkZero also had some high fragging numbers to go along with their damage statistics, totaling 100 kills between all three players. While they dominated the group stage, DarkZero will need to survive the bracket stage and the Finals to claim the ALGS Championship crown.

  • Insane Seer heirloom animations in Apex Legends: Dragon Ball Z, Sketches, more – Dexerto

Insane Seer heirloom animations in Apex Legends: Dragon Ball Z, Sketches, more Respawn EntertainmentSeer’s Heirloom was introduced to Apex Legends with the Spellbound Collection Event and the mythic item has countless interesting and rare animations, including a Dragon Ball Z reference. The Spellbound Collection Event arrived on January 10 and while players are celebrating the return of Control and enjoying all of the fresh skins available to collect, there’s one new feature that shines above the rest. We’re of course talking about Seer’s Showstoppers Heirloom which are effectively a hybrid between a sickle and knuckledusters. As you would expect, Seer’s mythic collectible has countless animations and luckily, we’ve compiled them all in one place so you know exactly what the Showstoppers can do. All Seer’s Heirloom animations in Apex Legends For starters, Seer’s Heirloom includes a set of incredible inspect animations, one of which involves the Ambush Master spinning his Showstoppers, another of him cutting up a rose, and finally, one of him sketching out a picture that has a variety of different combinations. Apex YouTuber officiaLdooL has a video that shows all of these inspects animations, as well as the melee attacks on targets. While each of the inspect animations stand out from the crowd, it’s the sketching interaction that’s getting most of the attention, as there are so many different drawings. Some of them include Rampart, Loba, a butterfly, Eduardo Silva, and Octane. Not only that, but Seer also has a Dragon Ball Z reference with his Heirloom door-break animation. The Ambush Master can be seen mimicking the Kamehameha energy attack from the series, thrusting his hands forward in a similar motion. Apex YouTuber MadLad demonstrates these in their video, as well as all of the possible sketches. So, there you have, those are all the Heirloom animations for Seer’s Showstoppers in Apex Legends. Remember you can claim the mythic item if you collect all 24 items from the Spellbound Collection event. However, you have to do this before January 24, otherwise you’ll have to rely on obtaining Heirloom Shards from a pack.

  • Insane new Apex Legends Loba teaser teleports you to her secret lair – Dexerto

Insane new Apex Legends Loba teaser teleports you to her secret lair Respawn EntertainmentA brand-new teaser for Apex Legends Season 5’s next character, Loba, is now in the game and it is…wild, to say the least. We know a few things about Loba. We know that she is named after a wolf, her parents were killed by Revenant, and that she is now some sort of high-tech thief with a revenge plot against the assassin Revenant, who murdered her family when she was a young girl. While Respawn Entertainment has confirmed Loba’s release, alongside “Season Quests, a bountiful new Battle Pass, and more!” Nobody is certain what that “more” will be (although popular theories surround a Loba in-game event or a new map). Related — Why Season 5 May Mean a New Map: But now we have a real glimpse at just how sneaky she is and just how terrifying her technology can be. As discovered by popular dataminer, ‘iLootGames,’ and others, the vaults in Apex Legends have been gutted—revealing a tease for Loba. Lucking into a Vault Key typically gives you a chance to accrue exciting, golden treasure that gives you an edge over your opponents. But now the Vaults are all unlocked and, instead of treasure, you find a holographic image of a wolf with a cryptic message:“Want your treasures back? Come see me!” Upon looking around further, you find a bracelet that, when interacted with, teleports you briefly to some industrial bridge straight out of a cyberpunk horror film. Lights flicker, the sounds of machinery echo and, after a brief moment, you are teleported back to the vault. It is a very startling experience and a lot to take in, but we’ve gone through and tried to absorb as much as possible. While interesting to know that Loba is obviously an adept thief, privy to leaving sly messages, two questions stand out: 1) What is this crazy teleportation technology (and is it created blue-haired partner)? and 2) Where in the universe is this creepy chamber you get momentarily teleported to? There are no clues to the first one’s answer, but there are hints to the second—particularly for Titanfall fans. As noted by iLootGames, you appear to be somewhere underground to the north of Kings Canyon’s Skull Town. This is where it shows you at when in the teaser Interesting eh? pic.twitter.com/igENb3vCU5— iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) May 1, 2020 As for what the subterranean location might be, there appear to be Stalker robots stacked alongside the dimly lit bridge. In Titanfall 2, Stalkers are dangerous robots who carry either an L-STAR, Mastiff or Volt as their weapon, but have the capacity to perform brutal, heart-wrenching executions. So far, all we know is that Loba has begun playing with our heads and has easy access to a location with a ton of dangerous robots. We don’t know where this mystery leads, but we do know this is quite the entrance. Apex Legends Season 5 is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, May 12, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Insane CGI Apex Legends video brings Bloodhound to life – Dexerto

Insane CGI Apex Legends video brings Bloodhound to life GoldenLane Studios/Reddit: DPotatoManiac/RespawnOne dedicated Apex Legends fan and filmmaker has shared an incredible CGI short video, introducing the Technological Tracker Bloodhound. Community creations have become a common sight in the Apex Legends fan base, with players of Respawn’s Titanfall battle royale regularly sharing their cosplays, artwork and more. This video falls into the ‘more’ category, and takes the form of an introductory video for Bloodhound, one of the game’s original legends. Bloodhound has never hit the heights of a Wraith or Gibraltar, but has been a fairly solid option throughout Apex Legends’ six seasons. The incredible video creation comes by way of CGI animator at GoldenLane Studios. Their Reddit username is ‘DPotatoManiac‘, and they shared their work to the game’s subreddit on October 10. It has since garnered insane praise, amassing nearly 50,000 upvotes in less than 12 hours. A cinematic introduction to the Technological Tracker, the video sweeps over Apex Legends’ plush environment and shows Bloodhound taking out enemies with their trademark stealth. Hidden in the bushes, stalking their prey, the video provides a terrifying look at what makes Bloodhound such a formidable legend. The creation blew the minds of many Redditors, and even garnered praise from Respawn Entertainment. Like us, they appeared stunned at what one fan was able to produce purely out of love of the game. Principal animator Moy Parra said: “That was outstanding!!! Thank you so much for sharing this. I can appreciate the amount of work that went into creating this piece, it turned out GREAT!” Similarly, Ryan Rigney, Respawn’s Director of Communications, commented: “You’re insane. Actually mind-blown by how sick this is.” The video’s creator, whose real name is Slava Alekseev, said: “Thank you so much for your support guys! I never expected to see even a fraction of the attention the previous post got. The Apex community is the best.” Videos like this are one of the main reasons it is.

  • Insane Apex Legends Wraith Iron Crown cosplay is truly out of this world – Dexerto

Insane Apex Legends Wraith Iron Crown cosplay is truly out of this world RespawnOne Apex Legends fan has caught the eye with their amazing Wraith cosplay from the recent Iron Crown Collection event. Ever since the game launched back in February, the Apex Legends community has been awash with fan creations – including everything from cosplays, fan art, and even concepts for new in-game items. The cosplays, in particular, have impressed everybody from fellow players to the game’s developers. In an ever one-upping contest, fans don the look of their favorite heroes. One of the most popular, Wraith, always helps produce an eye-catching look – and it’s no different this time around either. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user robot_giggles showed off their stunning cosplay look that they took to the recent PAX West event. The costume is inspired by Wraith’s ‘Protector of the Void’ skin from the Iron Crown Event. While some cosplayers will go as far as wielding an impressive custom-built weapon, robot_giggles just went all out with their look – detailing the maroon and gold-colored skin with insane accuracy. The cosplay even came complete with the huge new shoulder pads and cross-angled face paint to make it seem as if Wraith had just stepped out of Kings Canyon and into the real world. 600The cosplay was that impressive that some members of the subreddit thought they were seeing an in-game screenshot. “I thought this was a screenshot, bravo,” posted user GT_Legend2. Another, going by the name Flikkrz, added: “Holy shit, I thought that was actually Wraith for a second and thought there was going to be a Pax wraith skin.” As Wraith continues to be one of the most popular characters in the BR game, Respawn Entertainment is even gearing up to give the legend her own event called ‘Voidwalker.’ It has already been revealed that there will be significant in-game content, including the Wraith Town location, a brand new limited-time mode called Armed and Dangerous, as well as some cheaper cosmetics. It remains to be seen if the character will get any new skins in her dedicated event, but if she does, it won’t take long before we see plenty more stunning cosplays.

  • Insane Apex Legends trick gives players ‘infinite’ wall bounces – Dexerto

Insane Apex Legends trick gives players ‘infinite’ wall bounces Respawn EntertainmentThere’s a way to ‘infinitely’ chain Apex Legends wall bounces in a way that lets you outplay opponents by linking some of the best movement tricks in the game. Using wall bounces is a way for Apex players to use the environment to their advantage. In short-range duels, it’s an easy way to disorientate an enemy. In other scenarios, it can give people a slick way to get out of a bad situation. But people have been getting creative with how this technique can be applied. Players are now showing how it can be used around the battle royale to get the most out of the tech. Apex Legends infinite wall bounce trick The trick essentially makes use of wall runs and tap strafing by chaining jumps off terrain. The ‘infinite’ wall bounce comes in by practicing how to link multiple jumps and even work off each other. Doing this in-game can easily get enemy crosshairs off you, especially if you can maneuver quickly enough to get behind them. This can be even more useful if you’re getting chased across a POI. Someone can shake off an opponent who’s closing in by giving them the slip like Reddit user ‘Treeree2’ showed by employing the move. Even just one wall bounce can give players a massive advantage if it’s used correctly. Learning how to combine a few of them in a short time can increase its potency to another level. Respawn Entertainment’s move system in Apex Legends is flexible enough for people to discover new tricks and techniques. With everything from punch-boosting to different slides, infinite wall bounces are just an extension of how Apex players are limit-testing the game.

  • Insane Apex Legends play uses Wraith’s portal to score clutch victory – Dexerto

Insane Apex Legends play uses Wraith’s portal to score clutch victory RespawnSome clever thinking with portals and a little dose of mind games helped this Wraith player take out a whole squad of enemy players in the waning moments of an Apex Legends match. To truly master both patience and portals will spell the difference between victory and defeat when playing Wraith in the Apex Legends arena. Reddit user PANCAKEMIX1O1 shared the final moments of their recent match to the Apex University subreddit, a community focused on improvement in the wildly popular battle royale game. It goes without saying that they took their enemies to school. With barely any room to escape from the storm circle, Wraith placed a portal right on the door leading into a full squad of adversaries, then hid in plain sight directly above them. The squad expected her to come through, but since her ultimate timer is based on movement, she stood still to let the clock run out. With the ring set to close in just a matter of seconds, she opened the second portal right next to her, but still in the storm. With time ticking down, the squad decided to go through the portal to challenge Wraith, but only ended up in her crosshairs. She would knock down two of three members of the squad, and retreat to the tiny safe circle, letting the storm ring finish them off. There, she awaited the final player, another solo Legend who had downed the third of that squad, who slid into the safety of the circle, but right into the barrel of her R-99. While it may appear that the clutch play was due to the squad’s decision through the portal, it’s actually because of smart placement by Wraith, who placed her rift right in front of the door, blocking the squad from going around. Those players were likely expecting the other portal to be placed deep inside the storm, so they were forced to wait. Ironically, if they had all jumped through the portal at once, they likely could have overpowered her. Speaking of overpowered, clips like this raise questions about the character’s portal ultimate, specifically regarding how players can not move to keep it from timing out. Her ultimate has been the focus of a handful of exploits in recent memory, but this facet of her ability is evidently intended to be included. We’ll see if her ultimate remains in its current form throughout the duration of Season 4.

  • Insane Apex Legends flying glitch lets players float around the map at high speed – Dexerto

Insane Apex Legends flying glitch lets players float around the map at high speed Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre Apex Legends glitch has been discovered that allows players to infinitely float across the map at high speeds. While glitches are not an intended aspect of Apex Legends, they never fail to spark the community’s curiosity, especially when they’re completely bizarre. Although most bugs discovered in the Outlands are harmless, there have been a number of them in the past that have ruined matches and the overall gameplay experience. Whether it was the infinite charge Rampage glitch or the Ult-dash speed boost bug that got Taxi2g temporarily banned, Respawn has had to be on their toes when it comes to tackling glitches. Well, a new bug has been uncovered in Season 13 that allows players to float above the map infinitely and although it doesn’t give the abusers much of an advantage, it’s certainly an issue Respawn will need to fix. Trident puppet glitch allows players to fly above the map Apex Legends YouTuber Dirty Skirty has showcased a mind-blowing bug involving the Trident that effectively turns a player into a floating puppet. By glitching inside the Trident and using the terrain of the map to push a player into the sky, it’s possible to infinitely float above the map and fly around at high speeds. As the movement of the flying player has to be controlled by another teammate driving the Trident who can be thousands of meters away, it’s safe to say this glitch doesn’t give abusers a competitive advantage. However, that doesn’t mean Respawn won’t hand out permanent bans to those who deliberately activate this bug in their matches, so don’t try this out if you want to avoid an in-game punishment. It’s hard to know whether the devs will prioritize fixing this bug as it may not give abusers an advantage, but it does certainly appear as if they are using flying hacks. This is not a good look for the integrity of Apex, especially in Ranked, so Respawn may focus on getting this issue resolved as soon as possible.

  • Insane Apex Legends exploit removes speed penalty while healing – Dexerto

Insane Apex Legends exploit removes speed penalty while healing RespawnAn Apex Legends player is warning Respawn after discovering an incredibly powerful bug that lets anyone who exploits it move quickly around the battlefield. The exploit, discovered by Redditor Dirty_Skirty, completely removes the movement penalty while healing. This is huge, as it can give some players a ridiculous advantage – something that could completely break the competitive integrity of the game.
