ImperialHal explains why Wingman is such an “annoying” gun in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why the Wingman is such an “annoying” gun to deal with in the Outlands. While there are countless guns in Apex Legends for competitors to loot and equip, there are a select few that sit on a pedestal above the rest. One of these weapons is the Wingman, a heavy ammo pistol that’s been causing havoc across the Apex Games since the release of Respawn’s battle royale, and continues to be a powerhouse to this day. Although there’s no denying that the Wingman is a fan-favorite weapon, not everyone is happy about how much damage it can dish out in the hands of an accurate player. Apex pro ImperialHal has even voiced his opinion on the gun, labeling it as “annoying” and complaining that players can just stack ammo to spam infinite bullets at opponents. ImperialHal hates playing against “annoying” Wingman During his June 13 stream, ImperialHal was asked for his opinion on the Wingman by a viewer in his chat, and it’s safe to say he didn’t shower the pistol in praise. Revealing that “he barely plays the Wingman”, Hal labeled the weapon as “annoying” and expressed how frustrating it is to be hit by a single bullet and be left at half health. His biggest problem with the gun is that players can stack a huge amount of heavy ammo and just spam an infinite amount of bullets at an opponent. With the help of aim assist on controller, Hal says: “you could probably hit 20 bullets out of 200 and be satisfied.” While there’s no indication that the Wingman will be receiving a nerf anytime soon, a recent leak has revealed that Respawn could be putting the pistol into the Replicator next season. This would certainly reduce the amount of them in players’ hands but as it has not been confirmed by the devs, we’ll have to wait and see whether it’s true.

ImperialHal explains why Vantage is “one of the worst characters” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Vantage is “one of the worst characters” in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMTSM pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why Vantage is “one of the worst characters” in Apex Legends thanks to her poor mid to late-game. Season 14 has kicked off in Apex Legends and the community is getting stuck into all of the new content that arrived in Hunted. While the Kings Canyon map changes, level cap increase, and weapon changes were all huge additions, it’s Vantage that’s receiving the most attention from the player base. With a 13.3% pick rate, she’s currently sitting as the most popular character in the Outlands, significantly higher than Octane’s 9.7% in second place. Despite this, not everyone is sold on the Sniper Savant’s power in the current meta, with ImperialHal labeling her as “trash” thanks to her poor late-game. ImperialHal thinks Vantage is “trash” in the late-game During a recent stream showcased by Zipp, ImperialHal was asked his opinion on Vantage and the TSM pro decided to share his thoughts on why the character isn’t viable in the current meta. From his perspective, the Sniper Savant is “f***ing trash” in every part of a match, other than in the early game while looting. This is primarily due to her Ultimate which according to Hal, is almost impossible to use in an endgame circle without being “insta-killed”. While he did take the time to praise her kit in the early stages of a game, he finalized his thoughts by saying that he thinks she’s “one of the worst characters” in the mid to late game. Topic starts at 1:30 Of course, Vantage has only recently arrived on the roster, so there’s a chance pros find a use for her in their comps at a later date. This is exactly what happened with Mad Maggie in Season 13 with countless ALGS teams picking her up, despite her being labeled as useless at release. For now, it’ll just be a case of seeing if Vantage can hold on to her popularity, or whether she’ll slowly descend in pick rate, similar to Newcastle

ImperialHal explains why Seer is “broken” and makes Apex Legends “easy mode” – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Seer is “broken” and makes Apex Legends “easy mode” Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen thinks Seer is “broken” in Season 13 and that having an Ambush Master on your team makes it “easy” to win matches. As Seer was released in an overpowered state back in Season 10, a set of hard nerfs that followed shortly after left him with one of the lowest pick rates on the entire Apex Legends roster. Despite this, the Ambush Master has slowly been climbing back up the tier list and in Season 13, a lot of players including aceu actually think he’s a stronger pick than Bloodhound. With the ability to detect enemies hiding in cover and lockdown entire buildings with his Ultimate, the community is starting to realize that they may have been underrating Seer. Well, this has certainly been the case for ImperialHal who has admitted he overlooked Seer and now thinks he’s a “broken” pick in Ranked. ImperialHal thinks Seer is “broken” in Ranked During his June 14 stream, ImperialHal was asked for his opinion on Seer by one of his viewers, as the TSM pro hasn’t been the biggest advocate for the Ambush Master in the past. However, to the surprise of his audience, Hal revealed that he’d changed his mind and that in the current meta, Seer is a “broken” pick in Ranked that adds an “easy mode” to Apex. Going as far as to say he’s better than Bloodhound, Hal explained that the Ambush Master can effectively “scout” enemy teams for free, making him perfect for picking off enemy squads out of cover. Not only that, it’s difficult for opponents to camp out in buildings and “rat” their way to victory, as Seer can simply track their heartbeat and relay the information to his squad. So, if you’re looking for a strong Legend in Ranked that seems to be going under the radar at the moment, it may be time to practice Seer. Unlike Octane, Valkyrie, or Horizon, he has an extremely low pick rate so it’s rare he’ll ever be picked before you can choose him. Keep in mind, that a lot of Seer’s power comes from his ability to feed his squad information, so make sure you’re communicating with your teammates, especially when you pick up a heartbeat.

ImperialHal explains why NICKMERCS is “weak link” of his Apex Legends team – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why NICKMERCS is “weak link” of his Apex Legends team Twitch: ImperialHal/NICKMERCSApex Legends star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why he believes Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is the “weak link” of his Tripods squad in competitive play. With the top level of Apex Legends ranked play being set up the way it is, it’s not difficult for some ambitious players to transition from being a ranked grinder to having a shot at the ALGS. In the case of NICKMERCS, the former Gears of War pro made the switch from Warzone to Apex Legends and hasn’t looked back, with his Tripods squad working their way through challenging qualifiers to reach the ALGS proper in the backend of 2022. Given that he’s a streamer and comes from other games, Nick has found himself on the end of criticism and constructive feedback more than his teammates, especially with regard to his mechanics and game sense. ImperialHal praises NICKMERCS “potential” despite being ALGS “weak link” It was something ImperialHal noted as he appeared on ClaraAtWork’s ALGS watch party as discussed Nick’s potential moving forward. The TSM star was pushed to name the “weakest link” of Nick’s Tripods team. “Nick! It’s so obvious,” he said, pointing to Nick’s mechanics. “Right now, the meta is considered that you have to have mechanical skill and Nick doesn’t have that.” “The meta does not fit him. He has potential, he has so much room to grow, he just doesn’t fit in the meta right now as a player,” Hal added. “He’s so far behind all the other players that have been playing for a while. If the meta was more like Caustic and Gibby, it wouldn’t really matter that Nick’s mechanical skills are bad.” Timestamp of 0:38 Nick currently plays the Seer role for his squad, but as Hal notes, he doesn’t quite have the mind of an in-game leader to play the character to its full potential. As the meta shifts with character changes, a meta might pop up that totally suits Nick. Though, it’s hard to bet against him having success in some way or another given how far he’s gotten to this point.

ImperialHal explains why Newcastle is “trash” in current Apex Legends meta – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Newcastle is “trash” in current Apex Legends meta Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why Newcastle is “trash” in the current Season 13 meta. Since arriving on May 10 with Season 13, Newcastle has been extremely popular with the Apex Legends community, maintaining a solid 7% pick rate. With a kit that’s completely centered around protecting allies from gunfire and dragging them out of danger, he’s the perfect character for players who prefer taking a more selfless role in a squad. Despite this, not everyone is convinced that the Heroic Defender will carve his way into the meta, especially when it comes to the competitive scene. One of which is TSM pro ImperialHal, who doesn’t think Newcastle’s abilities are strong enough to compete in Season 13 compared to Legends like Valkyrie, Caustic, and Gibraltar. ImperialHal doesn’t think Newcastle is strong in Season 13 During his May 17 stream, ImperialHal was asked by one of his viewers for his opinion on Newcastle in the current meta. In response, Hal explained that Newcastle falls into the “trash” category of Legends in Season 13 as he lacks any damage abilities. As a result, players piloting the Heroic Defender have to completely rely on their gunskill, whereas Legends like Caustic, Valkyrie, and Gibraltar have ways of zoning enemy squads and dealing easy damage. In Hal’s opinion, it’s essential for a character to have some form of damage in their kit as in the current meta, there’s a lot of ability spam to weaken opposing teams before a push. It’s worth noting that as a pro player for TSM, Hal competes against some of the best competitors in Apex, so his advice doesn’t mean Newcastle won’t be strong in lower tiers of Ranked or standard matches. If the Heroic Defender fits your playstyle and you excel with his abilities, then there’s no need to drop him just because he’s not considered meta. However, if you want to maximize your chances of winning matches and forming the best team comps, it could be worth looking elsewhere towards Valk, Gibraltar, Caustic, or even Wraith.

ImperialHal explains why Lifeline buffs won’t make her meta in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Lifeline buffs won’t make her meta in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen doesn’t think the Lifeline buffs are enough to bring the Combat Medic into the meta. Over the last few seasons, Lifeline has been one of the most controversial topics in Apex Legends, with countless players calling for her to be buffed. Although there were rumors no major changes were coming before the ALGS Championship, Respawn surprised the community by revealing that Lifeline buffs were arriving with the Awakening Collection Event on June 21. By increasing the healing from her Tactical, reducing the cooldown of her Ultimate, and adding a Shield Battery to her care package, the devs are hoping Lifeline can carve out a position in the meta. Well, after evaluating changes, ImperialHal isn’t convinced she’s going to be a top-tier pick that can compete with the likes of Seer, Valkyrie, and Horizon. ImperialHal doesn’t think Lifeline will be meta after buffs During his June 19 stream, ImperialHal and his squad were in the middle of a Ranked match on Storm Point when the topic of Lifeline came up in conversation. After being asked whether Lifeline will be a popular pick next season, Hal responded by saying “no” despite the changes arriving in the Collection Event. Overall, he doesn’t think the “hard” buff to her Tactical and cooldown reduction on her Ultimate is enough for her to replace one of the current meta Legends. With Valkyrie, Seer, Caustic, Gibraltar. and Horizon being so strong and offering so much value to a team comp, it’s obvious he feels the Combat Medic just can’t compete. Topic starts at 0:52 As showcased by Zipp, Verhulst and Reptar were a little more optimistic about the buffs compared to Hal, even claiming that they were going to test Lifeline once the changes have arrived. However, it’s clear Hal feels that the buffs are a nice addition, but they won’t be propelling the Combat Medic to the top of the meta anytime soon.

ImperialHal explains why Kings Canyon is bad for Ranked in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Kings Canyon is bad for Ranked in Apex Legends TSM/ImperialHal/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why it’s impossible to play aggressively in Kings Canyon Ranked matches if you want to climb. When heading into an Apex Legends Ranked match, it’s important to consider your Legend choice, team comp, and of course, what weapons you’re going to have equipped in the late game. If all of these factors are optimized, you give yourself the best chance at picking up the victory and securing the maximum amount of RP. Despite this, there’s one aspect that a lot of Apex players don’t consider, and that’s the map they’re dropping into and how they should play based on its layout. Well, ImperialHal decided to share his opinion on Kings Canyon Ranked and has revealed that you have to play like a “b**h” to climb. How to climb in Kings Canyon Ranked in Apex Legends Over the years, ImperialHal has made it very clear that it’s always best to play aggressively in Ranked if you want to improve. This is because hiding until the end may net you RP, but it’ll never help you get any better at Apex Legends as a whole. Well, speaking on stream about Kings Canyon Ranked on April 10, the TSM pro revealed that the only way to climb is to play like a “b**h” on the map. Unlike World’s Edge and Storm Point where it’s possible to rush or “W key” every single enemy squad, Hal explained that it isn’t possible to do that on KC due to the layout and size of the map. On top of this, he advised his chat to take a Caustic with them into KC Ranked if they want to win, and to play smart if they don’t want to “lose their mind”. Although this passive playstyle isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, Hal is just giving advice to those who are looking to maintain their RP while playing Ranked. Until the map rotation changes in early May with Season 13, it may be worth running a Caustic and taking your time with gunfights when dropping into KC, it may net you a little more RP.

ImperialHal explains why he’s not quitting Apex Legends despite cutting back – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why he’s not quitting Apex Legends despite cutting back Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why he’ll never actually quit playing Apex Legends despite his recent step back from the battle royale. Apex Legends players have had plenty to complain about in the last few months, especially in the pro scene. Servers have been targeted which has hampered games, some bullets have been invisible, and the ever-lasting issues around audio have crept up again. On April 26, it all became a bit too much for ImperialHal, with the TSM star revealing that he’d be taking a step back from competing as the issues were affecting his performance and mental health. It wasn’t an official retirement from Hal, and he’s stuck around games since, regularly hosting watch parties on his stream. And when it comes to actually quitting, he’s unlikely to do it anytime soon. ImperialHal explains why he won’t quit Apex Legends On May 9, the TSM IGL was quizzed by one fan about potentially quitting for good, but he revealed that a heartfelt conversation with his dad has molded his way of thinking about it. “I spoke to my Dad the other day and he told me a story when he was a truck driver and was thinking about quitting since he was always alone and it was a hard job,” Hal answered. “I’ve realized that both of my parents not only went across the world for themselves but for their family and even with my Father at his lowest he didn’t quit so me and everyone else in my family could experience life correctly. I’ve had thoughts of moving on but if my Father did all that just for me to move on is that really fair? I don’t think I’ll ever quit because my Dad didn’t.” That message delighted plenty of fans who praised his “passion” for competition and urged him to come back soon. It remains to be seen when he’ll bring himself completely back to the game, but at least he isn’t going away anytime soon.

Imperialhal explains why he wants Wingman nerfed in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Imperialhal explains why he wants Wingman nerfed in Apex Legends TSM/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player Philip ‘Imperialhal’ Dosen thinks the Wingman needs to be nerfed due to its overwhelming power in the early stages of a match. While there are countless weapons to choose from in Apex Legends, there’s one that stands out from the crowd as the highlight-reel maker, and that’s the Wingman. This heavy ammo pistol is capable of dealing massive damage and wiping out squads in an instant if you hit your shots. Dealing 45 damage to the body and a whopping 97 for a headshot, it’s a deadly weapon that rewards players with pinpoint aim. Of course, this means the Wingman is more powerful at the higher tiers of Ranked, as the players competing are more likely to land their shots. As a result of this, some of these highly-skilled players have begun to ask whether the Wingman needs a nerf, and one of them is ImperialHal. ImperialHal thinks Wingman is too powerful early game During his March 1 stream, one of Hal’s squadmates brought up the Wingman and how powerful the weapon is in the early stages of a match. They mentioned that a solution could be nerfing the pistol or potentially putting it in the care package. Hal agreed with this idea but did go on to say that he thinks the Wingman is the only fun weapon to use in the game. Read More: Apex Legends players want underpowered Lifeline to get new healing passive – As a result, nerfing the gun may take it out of the meta completely, especially considering that the Wingman is only strong if you can land your shots. So, although pros and top-tier players may think the gun needs a nerf, it’s unlikely casual and average tier Ranked players agree. Despite this, Hal and his squad were specifically talking about the Wingman’s power in the early stages of the match just after a drop, and how often the gun can be found as loot. Instead of a nerf, there’s always the option of reducing its spawn rate on the map slightly, making the pistol harder to find just after a drop. However, as the Wingman is relatively balanced for casual players, it’s unlikely Respawn will be looking to nerf the iconic gun anytime soon.

ImperialHal explains why he finds Apex Legends “boring” but still plays – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why he finds Apex Legends “boring” but still plays Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why he’s still committed to Apex Legends despite finding the battle royale “boring” quite a fair bit of the time. Over the last few seasons of Apex Legends, many players – both pro and causal – have had complaints about Respawn not giving things a proper refresh. ImperialHal has been right up there as well, as the ALGS champion has urged the devs to make some big changes. He’s previously suggested they dig into the pockets like Fortnite does and introduce Cash Cup-like events to boost Ranked play and competitive viewers. The TSM star has also voiced concerns about the overall state of the battle royale, claiming it “won’t last” if there aren’t too many good seasonal updates around the corner. ImperialHal will still play Apex Legends even though it’s a little “boring” Despite all his complaints and feeling that is a bit “boring” these days, the TSM IGL has continued to grind the game in the off-season for the ALGS. “I feel like the actual game, outside of competitive, is just boring to me. Playing ranked, pubs… when I look at the playlist of this game, when I look at pubs, controls, ranked, firing range, it’s all like the same thing to me and everything is redundant,” Hal said. “It just gets boring to me because it has been the same thing for the most part for a long time, so the only thing that passes time fast is playing comp, like playing scrims, playing tournaments, and that’s how it’s been for the last like three seasons for me. It’s so hard for me to play like eight hours of ranked compared to six seasons ago.” Timestamp of 0:50 The two-time ALGS MVP added that changing things up and playing other games on stream was unlikely to help things either. “Just because I might not enjoy Apex ranked like I used to, that is not going to stop me from doing my part on team” he added.

ImperialHal explains why he doesn’t have high hopes for iiTzTimmy’s Apex Legends squad – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why he doesn’t have high hopes for iiTzTimmy’s Apex Legends squad Twitch/JoeBradyPhoto/ALGSTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen doesn’t have high expectations for Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An’s return to pro play in Apex Legends, as he believes the 100 Thieves streamer needs to make a change to his squad already. Given that Apex Legends has a pretty impressive Ranked play system, streamers and content creators are able to rub shoulders with some of the best players around – if they grind for it. As a result, we’ve seen Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff make the leap into ALGS play with his Tripods squad, and iiTzTimmy has also gone toe-to-toe with some of the best pro players around. Timmy had previously been trying to compete in Apex under the Golden Guardians and Team Yeesh banners, but stepped away for his mental health, as well as having a number of computer problems. ImperialHal reveals change iiTzTimmy’s Apex Legends squad needs already He has been making his return in the Challenger Circuit Split 2, and has naturally caught the eye of some Apex Legends pros. That includes ImperialHal, who was quizzed on his thoughts about Timmy’s potential. “I think him playing Pro gives him a purpose,” Hal said. “Him competing is his next thing but if he wants to take it serious, he shouldn’t be playing with Lyric, no offense. He needs to be playing with an IGL. “He needs to be playing with someone that is better than Timmy. He needs to find someone who is better than Timmy or himself, whatever, so he can be IGL and learn. Osivien is fine but I just think that it shouldn’t be Timmy and Lyric. That team would not do well, in my opinion.” The TSM star noted that it is “hard” for the 100 Thieves member to find someone who fits that criteria, given that he’d likely be eyeing someone who plays in pro league, and they likely wouldn’t want to step down a level. Timmy’s squad is playing under the tag of ‘The Dojo’ for this Challengers split, and it remains to be seen if they’ll take Hal’s advice on board.

ImperialHal explains why he called out friend’s poor performance in ALGS: “It’s my channel” – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why he called out friend’s poor performance in ALGS: “It’s my channel” Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSTSM captain Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has responded after he kicked up a debate by calling out fellow competitor and friend Cole ‘Rkn’ Prommel for his performance at the ALGS Championship, claiming he held back his more talented teammates. On his stream, Hal praised Koyful, a 17-year-old controller prodigy, but suggested he “doesn’t know better” in regards to being held back by teammates, namely Rkn. “Theoretically, let’s say Koy is this good, like he’s literally miles above whoever mechanically,” ImperialHal said. “But then you have a teammate that literally dropped zero kills in a winner’s bracket.” There was no escaping the fact that he was directly pointing the finger at Rkn, who indeed managed no kills in the winner’s bracket as Sentinels bowed out in 27th place. Hal even went on to say he is “offended when I see players stay in positions they shouldn’t be in”. Unsurprisingly, this caused a stir in the community, with some critical of ImperialHal’s clearly unfiltered comments, but the TSM player has made it clear that he remains unapologetic. On X/Twitter, he said, “As long it’s my channel, I will speak on what I think if it’s in relevance to my job. “Just because you are my friend does not mean you get a pass for anything. I will also never allow what my audience says to dictate [whether] or not my opinion is shared or how it is shared.” Although some felt his words had been harsh, there was also agreement from some fans. “Completely agree with Hal on this one, especially with Rkn,” one said. “Koyful and xenial are so much more talented. Sentinels would actually perform like the tier 1 org they are if they dropped rkn.” Rkn has not responded publicly, but according to Hal, the two remain friends. Sentinels’ roster, for the time being, remains intact, with the same trio from the 2023 Championship heading into year 4 of ALGS together.

ImperialHal explains why controller aim assist should be nerfed in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why controller aim assist should be nerfed in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMPhilip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has revealed that he thinks controller should be nerfed in Apex Legends, as aim assist makes it significantly better than mouse and keyboard. The debate between controller and MnK has been raging on in Apex Legends since the game’s release, and there’s no chance of the argument being solved anytime soon. For MnK players, they believe the aim assist offered to controller users is too powerful and makes it too easy to hit shorts on opponents. However, controller players argue the movement mechanics and precision available on MnK balances out the advantage of aim assist. TSM pro player ImperialHal has taken a stance on the issue, claiming controller and aim assist should be nerfed in Apex Legends. ImperialHal thinks controller should be nerfed in Apex Legends During a recent stream, ImperialHal was asked by one of his viewers whether controller should be nerfed in Apex Legends. The TSM pro responded by saying yes, arguing that after playing on linear with his custom controller that features “reduced stick tension” it feels like he’s playing on “MnK with aim assist”. Hal has made it clear that he believes players should be “abusing” aim assist whenever they can, and he’s certainly no different. It’s obvious he feels like controller is the best option now compared to MnK, despite missing out on certain movement mechanics. Hal isn’t alone in his opinion on controller being too strong, and it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn implements any changes in the future. However, nerfs would likely spark huge backlash from a portion of the community, so the devs will have to tread carefully if they ever alter aim assist. For now, there’s no indication that they will, but it’s clear that pros like Hal are taking advantage of controller while they can.

ImperialHal explains why Catalyst is too strong in Apex Legends pro matches – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Catalyst is too strong in Apex Legends pro matches Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why Catalyst is such a broken pick in the ALGS alongside Seer. Despite appearing underwhelming to the majority of pros shortly after her release, Catalyst has established herself as a top-tier Legend in Season 16 pro play. While the Defensive Conjurer only holds a 3% overall pick rate among the standard player base, her kit is elevated when used in a top-tier competitive environment. She’s particularly effective when combined with the Ambush Master Seer and his incredibly powerful Ultimate. Speaking during a recent stream, ImperialHal decided to explain why Catalyst is such a deadly pick and why she’s a staple Legend in nearly every pro comp. ImperialHal reveals why Catalyst is so powerful in ALGS According to Hal, as Catalyst is such a strong “defensive character” it’s nearly impossible to play aggressively and take gunfights in and out of the zone. To succeed, teams have to make sure their positioning is perfect in the early game as the majority of skirmishes are “mirror matchups and there are no advantages”. The meta right now is “Seer Ult versus Seer Ult” and there are very few opportunities to make aggressive outplays as an enemy team can track your exact movement using scans. Catalyst’s wall provides a huge amount of safety for pro squads, especially in endgame circles where they’d usually be exposed without the cover. While Hal has acknowledged the power of the Catalyst Seer comp, he’s made it very clear that he doesn’t enjoy playing it. The TSM star recently voiced his frustration with the character, arguing that the strategy relies completely on positioning and he’d rather play nerfed Horizon because at least he’d be able to take on opponents head-on. For now, it’s clear Catalyst is top-tier in pro play, but we’ll have to wait and see whether Respawn decides to lower her power, or maybe even hit Seer with another set of nerfs.

ImperialHal explains what has to change about ALGS to keep Apex Legends pro play alive – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains what has to change about ALGS to keep Apex Legends pro play alive Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSI got the chance to speak with ImperialHal ahead of the ALGS Final and the upcoming Esports World Cup to ask about the future of competitive Apex Legends and how he’s managed to stay on top for so long. ImperialHal has earned and defended his title as the CEO of Apex Legends over the past few years. He’s been at or near the top of the world in every Apex competition, he’s one of the game’s top streamers on Twitch, and he’s been carrying TSM’s brand presence for years. And, though he has a lot of gripes with upcoming ALGS changes and the way the league currently operates, he’s also more determined than ever to continue his legacy within Apex and push himself even harder. I asked him about how he’s been able to win, what’s keeping him going despite his criticism of the game, and the future he sees in the Apex Legends competitive scene. ImperialHal slams ALGS Year 4 Split 2 pro changes For those unaware, the ALGS is making some huge changes to the way competitive Apex Legends works in the near future. Rather than operating like a traditional match with one dropship, teams have to pick their designated drop areas and will have a brief jump in from over top of them. The order in which teams can pick their POI is left up to a draft. According to Hal, this takes a ton of skill expression out of pro play. He’s vehemently against the change, though he sees why the ALGS is trying to switch things up. “Before, the main complaint was, in competitive, the dropship would start in random spots. Let’s say you land on the south side of the map, and the dropship starts from the south side of the map. You have an advantage because you land before everyone else, right? That’s the issue people were complaining about. So, they think the way of fixing that is to implement this dropship where everyone gets to pick where they jump and you all jump out at the same time. But now you have this other problem you’re creating where there’s no jump master skill gap.” The decision-making that comes with having to adapt on the fly and play with the hand that’s dealt to you is just part of the game. That, and the process of picking an area to drop has its own set of drawbacks that are arguably worse than the issue that the initial changes were trying to fix. He was critical of the adjustments when they were announced, and that didn’t change after playing it. “I think it’s stupid as hell. That’s my opinion. The thing is – I haven’t indulged in too much of it. They gave us some of it to test, but it’s kind of broken. It doesn’t work properly for us to test. So, my opinion is skewed because I’m looking at something that’s broken right now. But, at the same time, the idea of it is just stupid.” Hal explained. “They’re getting rid of the jumpmaster skill gap. “You’re basically flying out of the same ship as the other team. Most POIs, there’s a vantage point you have to land at. If you don’t, you’re just at a disadvantage off spawn. That’s the biggest issue. You’re making us all spawn in this designated area where I can’t skill gap the other team because we’re both spawning in the same spot.” There are a lot of mindgames going on here before players even hit the ground, and ImperialHal isn’t looking forward to when these changes get implemented in Split 2. Change isn’t inherently bad for the tournament circuit, but this change isn’t the right way to do things in his eyes. “There’s no skill to it, you just jump straight down. A Diamond player, a Gold player, anyone can do that. And you can just lose because of RNG as a BR. You can land in the same spot, they get a gun, you don’t get a gun. What do you do? You can be the best in the world, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a gun in your hand, right? That’s the biggest issue in my opinion.” However, this wasn’t his only issue with the way Apex Legends competitive currently works. Finding a future for the Apex Legends and beyond As is the case in any battle royale, people show up to see their favorite players duking it out. However, when it comes to putting on a full broadcast with casters, observers, and analysts, it’s easy to lose sight of that player. It’s not like there isn’t something to be gained from an actual stream and EA themselves trying to put on a show, but players not being able to stream their perspective from LAN is largely disappointing to ImperialHal. “They don’t allow the players to stream at LAN. I know most tournaments, or even other games, they don’t do that. It’s always just the main broadcast. Obviously there’s a lot of legality, you don’t want to take viewership from the main channel, they need to meet sponsorship requirements, but… most viewers watch the players. I don’t wanna go out of my way to watch TSM, I wanna watch ImperialHal, or Genburten, or whoever, right? Everyone watches the players. It’d help not only the players but the game to build more personalities and individual viewership if we were able to stream the games at LAN.” This is something we’ve seen mirrored in some of the world’s biggest esports leagues. tarik consistently outperforms the main Riot broadcast when it comes to Valorant, and the same can be said for Caedrel with League of Legends whether it be big internationals or regional leagues. Co-streaming is arguably the future of esports, and Apex Legends has an opportunity to bring that sort of experience to their LAN events from the players themselves. He feels that giving people access to his POV will only help the ALGS grow, and that he’s disappointed that he can’t just stream during the year’s biggest international events. With how big Hal’s presence is on Twitch, the ALGS could be leaving hundreds of thousands of potential viewers on the table. However, he wasn’t all doom and gloom when it came to Apex Legends pro play. The upcoming Esports World Cup has Hal excited for what a new event organizer can do for the game’s pro scene. “Having the Esports World Cup is probably the best opportunity we’ve had in Apex in the last five years, ever since the game came out. I think it’s huge, I think everyone should be looking forward to it. This will only give more longevity to the game and the esport.” And, while we don’t yet know what format the EWC will have and whether or not they’ll be adopting the Split 2 changes, there’s a ton of room for a third-party Apex Legends tournament to shake up the way EA looks at their premiere esports league. What’s more, Hal isn’t looking to quit any time soon. The crown may be heavy, but it’s weight he’s willing to bear the weight for himself and his family. ImperialHal’s more motivated than ever to dominate Apex Legends Even though he’s been competing since Apex Legends’ infancy, ImperialHal was still itching to play the entire time he spent travelling away from home for the Esports World Cup promo and other obligations. That competitive itch never leaves his body, and he’s got a lot motivating him to stay on top. “I try to bring motivation out of even the littlest things. Sometimes, if I – let’s say I have a vacation planned after LAN. In my head, it’s like, ‘I don’t deserve to go on this vacation unless I win,’” Hal claimed. “I’m really competitive, probably the most competitive person in Apex when it comes to mentality. I obviously still love to play the game. I don’t only play tournaments, I still play the regular game even though I have to deal with the BS that comes with it. But… That’s the only way you win. You have to play the game, no matter how hard it is, if you want to get to the top. “It’s multiple factors. You know, feeling like I deserve to have a break by performing well. Getting paid, everyone’s primary motivation. And also, I retired my dad because he used to be a truck driver. I also feel like I’m responsible not just for myself financially, but for my family. No one else in the family works now, so I cover my family basically. They’re, like, my employees in a way. It’s not a bad thing. Obviously, it’s a lot of pressure for someone like me as a 24 year-old, but, at the same time, I think it’s a good thing. I’m not in a position to have kids and stuff like that, I’m only 24, but for me to learn and understand that at a young age, it’ll only give me an advantage as I get older.” This stalwart mentality is something Hal maintains with his team as well, pushing the people who are with him on TSM to get better alongside him. He doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to rallying his teammates and trying to find the best way to take home a W, and he sets his expectations high. “I’m very hard on my teammates. I don’t know how it is in most other games, but… most leaders, they would be considered toxic or having bad behavior, stuff like that, because you yell at teammates and call them names. In my eyes… it’s controversial in a way, when it comes to how an IGL or leader should act in a team. But I think most other teams that aren’t as good, they’re not as strict, they’re not as hard, they let go of mistakes. They’re too nice. “That’s the biggest thing in my opinion – if you want to get something done, even in a regular work space – you have to be direct. You have to be stern. You have to be determined. You have to just lay down the law. Even if it might be the dumbest thing you can possibly think of when someone makes a mistake, it’s a mistake that might cost you down the road.” And, while this may sound like a challenging way to lead a team, it’s also a method that has created some of the most legendary runs in Apex history. According to ImperialHal, it’s an environment he thrives in. “I love being under pressure. I love being doubted. My favorite thing is when people doubt me or doubt the team because, for whatever reason, it gives me the energy to say ‘F**k you, I’m going to win. I’m going to show you who I am, what TSM is.’”

ImperialHal explains how controller players can “abuse” aim assist even more in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains how controller players can “abuse” aim assist even more in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMPhilip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen reveals which optics are best for controller players looking to “abuse” aim assist in Apex Legends. The neverending debate of mouse & keyboard versus controller in Apex Legends has been raging on since the game’s release. While MnK has pinpoint precision, controller users of course are equipped with aim assist which helps players land more shots on moving opponents. As a controller player, it’s key you maximize the power of aim assist if you’re looking to rack up a lot of kills and damage in your matches. Well, ImperialHal has a tip for anyone on controller that’s looking to “abuse” aim assist and involves your choice of optics. ImperialHal reveals best optic to “abuse” aim assist During a recent stream, TSM pro player ImperialHal shared a useful tip for controller players when it comes to optic choice in Apex Legends. According to Hal, “even if you are good with 3x or 2x-4x, you shouldn’t even be using those scopes anyway on controller at all”. This is because you receive “less aim assist on longer-range scopes”, so you’re not maximizing the power of the controller. As MnK has so much precision, it’s key you “abuse aim assist as hard as you can”, and to do that, the 1x scopes will always be the best. While avoiding longer-range scopes maybe put you at a disadvantage from a distance, you can solve this by running a Longbow or Sentinel in your secondary slot. At close range, using 1x scopes will maximize the strength of your aim assist and allow you to land the maximum amount of DPS on your opponents. So, next time you jump into a match, it may be worth taking Hal’s advice and avoiding those higher-zoom scopes on controller.

ImperialHal explains his simple solution for map problem in Apex Legends Ranked – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains his simple solution for map problem in Apex Legends Ranked Respawn/TSMApex Legends pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has laid out his idea to address some of the headaches with Ranked mode, especially regarding maps. When it comes to proving yourself as one of the best of the best in Apex Legends, the only place to do it is in the Ranked mode, that is, of course, if you aren’t a fully-fledged pro player. Apex’s Ranked mode has undergone a litany of changes over the last few seasons, especially when it comes to dishing out points, badges, and your standing on the ranked ladder. Though, plenty of problems and bugbears still remain. Aside from the distribution of points, one of the biggest headaches that players have with Ranked comes with the map – given you’re locked into just one map for an entire split. Players have asked for change, and now ImperialHal has an idea that could be a “win-win” for everyone. ImperialHal reveals idea to fix Apex Legends Ranked map issue During a recent stream, the TSM star expressed his annoyance with Kings Canyon being the current Ranked map, seeing as you can’t really practice different compositions or new legends. His idea is to follow similar to Valorant where, until you find a game, you don’t know what map you’re going to be playing on. “Why don’t we just do random maps? That’s even better,” Hal said. “Random maps throughout the whole season, so it just favors everybody. There’s no downside to that. Random maps for the entire season, not one dedicated map, simple as that. Equal chance for every map, I see no problem with that,” he continued. “People get to play the map and somewhat enjoy themselves. Professional players can get adequate practice. People that want to play other maps on Ranked get to play it. It’s a win-win for casuals and professionals.” Timestamp of 0:53 While the change would likely be welcome by most players, the focus on one map is usually because of the changes that Respawn has made to that particular landscape. It would also, quite possibly, put a bigger stress on the game’s servers and memory capacity, which cause more issues. Though, it might be something that Respawn could look into later down the line.

ImperialHal estimates average salary of Apex Legends pros – Dexerto
ImperialHal estimates average salary of Apex Legends pros Respawn Entertainment/TSMPhilip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen decided to share his thoughts on pro players’ salaries and even estimated what the average ALGS competitor earns. While the majority of the Apex Legends community are satisfied taking home victories in normal matches and climbing in Ranked, there are a select few who are talented enough to reach the pro level. In Apex’s case, this is the ALGS, a league where countless teams and organizations put forward a lineup of pros to compete for prize pools and the entertainment of viewers. Although most of the ALGS competitors have their own communities and stream on Twitch, very little is known about how much they’re paid by their organizations. Well, ImperialHal decided to shed some light on player salaries in a recent stream, and it was a lot less than his fans expected. ImperialHal talks about average ALGS player salaries During a recent stream, one of Hal’s viewers decided to ask him how much pros are paid in Apex Legends to compete in the ALGS. In response, the TSM pro shocked a lot of his viewers by estimating that the average pro most likely earns a salary of “$3,000” per month. This was a surprise to a lot of his fans who expected the number to be significantly higher. However, it’s worth noting that this figure is only the average base salary paid from an organization and doesn’t account for Twitch revenue, sponsors, or prize money. Not only that, players with a more recognizable name and who are a part of a larger organization like Hal, will be paid significantly more than other pros in the ALGS. Despite this, it’s always interesting to get some insight into a topic that is very rarely discussed openly by players.

ImperialHal ends stream early after hackers boot him out of Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal ends stream early after hackers boot him out of Apex Legends Instagram: Phillip DosenTSM Apex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen was forced to end his Twitch stream early after hackers got a hold of his account and forcibly kicked him out of games by logging onto another computer. ImperialHal has seen just about every Apex Legends cheat and hack in the book. The TSM star and self-proclaimed CEO of Apex has experienced it all in-game, and now there’s people deliberately targeting him. Hal was forced to cut his September 11 stream short after hackers kept booting him out of Apex Legends games — by logging into his account on other computers. The moment was captured during his stream, with Hal shouting “bro someone’s in my account” after a game he was playing randomly ended. His screen quickly faded to black before an error message appeared on the screen confirming he had been kicked from the game. ImperialHal simply sighs — seemingly out of frustration and annoyance — before muttering “oh my god”. After this incident, he then chose to end his stream early, logging off for good. He had mentioned reaching out to Respawn and figuring out what was up, or even just changing his account passwords so he doesn’t get kicked out again in the future. Hal also revealed hackers had also targeted other pro players like FURIA’s Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin. While developer Respawn is ramping up their efforts this year to crackdown on hackers and cheaters, this kind of stuff can typically only be sorted out through the account side. Whether there’s another fix Respawn could put out though remains to be seen.

ImperialHal doubts Apex Legends aim assist nerf will actually happen – Dexerto
ImperialHal doubts Apex Legends aim assist nerf will actually happen Respawn Entertainment/TSMTSM star ImperialHal is doubtful that Respawn will go through with changes to aim assist in Apex Legends after the battle royale devs stated that it was a possibility. The conversation around aim assist is never ending, especially as cross-play between PC and consoles is becoming more prevalent. In Apex Legends, mouse and keyboard users have been calling for changes for quite some time. While it is supposed to level the playing field and gave controllers players a helping hand, many MB/K users have compared it to a “soft aimbot.” They believe the level of aim assist is, quite simply, too high at the minute. Ahead of Season 18, Respawn Entertainment revealed that they were considering making some tweaks to aim assist moving forward. Naturally, this got a few mouse and keyboard players a bit hype, but ImperialHal isn’t totally sold. ImperialHal unsure about potential Apex Legends aim assist changes The TSM star, who made the switch to controller and won MVP honors at ALGS Split 1 Playoffs back in February, is onboard for a change but doesn’t see it happening anytime soon. “I don’t think they’ll ever f*ck with controller because that’s literally the majority of their player base,” Hal said. “They’ve mentioned that they would, but I don’t know.” His TSM teammates noted that other battle royales like Fortnite have tweaked their aim assist levels previously, which does have an impact on the player base. Hal ultimately added that any change will be “useless or great” and doesn’t have much hope for a middle ground. As noted, there aren’t any immediate changes coming to aim assist in Apex Legends. You’re not going to drop into games throughout Season 18 and notice anything different. However, moving forward, it will be a consideration for Respawn. Though, ultimately who knows if it’ll be the game-changer that many mouse and keyboard players are hoping it is.

ImperialHal doubles down on Seer being “OP” in Apex Legends & worries for ALGS – Dexerto
ImperialHal doubles down on Seer being “OP” in Apex Legends & worries for ALGS TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has doubled down on his belief that Seer hasn’t actually been nerfed in Apex Legends and is still “OP” in competitive play. Over the last few years, Apex Legends has had its fair share of broken characters. It typically happens when a new season rolls around and Respawn Entertainment added a new legend to the roster while also handing out some changes to the pre-existing ones. Since being introduced in Season 10, Seer has always been an interesting legend. He’s been a key part of the scan meta in casual and competitive play, and has been on the receiving end of some big changes from Respawn. The Recon legend was hit with another set of nerfs in the recent Dressed to Kill event update. However, ImperialHal stated that the changes were more like a buff and that Seer was still as dominant as ever. ImperialHal believes Seer is still too “OP” in Apex Legends Well, the TSM star is sticking to his guns and believes that the legend is still “OP” despite the changes, and could become a problem when the ALGS returns to LAN before long. “How would I describe Seer now? F*cking OP bro,” Hal said during a recent stream after doing some further testing on the legend. “Yeah, the Seer is definitely stronger than before, 100%. You literally cannot dodge a Q. The Q is instant and you get silenced for 10 seconds. “You have a guaranteed 10-second silence on at least one player every fight and two-and-a-half seconds slow that is f*cking insane. You cannot move. You literally just die so fast. I just wonder if they’re gonna do anything about it before LAN or not. I wonder if they’re able to do anything regarding Seer because if they do, it would be way too late, no?” The Seer change isn’t the only thing that has gotten Hal’s attention from the latest update. He’s also called Horizon’s heirloom “mid” and said that Nemesis is “basically the same” since its change. It remains to be seen if Respawn will make any further changes before long, but as it says, it might be too late on the competitive side of things.

ImperialHal doesn’t like the “direction” of Apex Legends but isn’t quitting – Dexerto
ImperialHal doesn’t like the “direction” of Apex Legends but isn’t quitting TSM/RespawnTSM’s Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has revealed that he wants to play Apex Legends for quite some time yet, but he’s unsure about the current direction of the game. Over the last few months, ImperialHal has taken a little bit of a step back from Apex Legends. The TSM star, who won MVP at the ALGS finals in London back in February, has also been increasingly vocal in his criticism of the battle royale and some of the changes Respawn has made. Most recently, he called out the devs for their nerf to Seer. Hal thought it actually went the other way and the recon legend got somewhat of a buff – which he’s also claimed is a problem going into LAN. He’s also unsure about the current direction of the battle royale as a whole, but he is still planning to stick around for a while. ImperialHal wants to keep playing Apex Legends but unsure on battle royale’s direction It was something that came up during his June 30 stream, as Hal was quizzed by Samora on whether or not he sees himself playing Apex for too much longer. “I’ve been playing for four years, it’s kind of a long time, doesn’t feel like it. I want to obviously play Apex for as long as I can because it’s my job and make the most money out of it,” he said, noting that it would be tough to start again in a different title. “I’m going to try as long as I can but right now, regarding the direction of the game, it’s not where I want it to go but I don’t have much control over that.” As noted, Hal had taken a bit of a step back from competing in Apex, but he is pretty much back on the battle royale full-time. So, he’s hardly looking for a way out. The TSM star has been suggesting some changes that Respawn could make to improve the overall health of the game recently, but it’ll probably fall on deaf ears given that Season 18 isn’t too far away.

ImperialHal demands Respawn “accept the issues” to save Apex Legends in Season 15 – Dexerto
ImperialHal demands Respawn “accept the issues” to save Apex Legends in Season 15 Respawn / EATSM pro player Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has demanded Respawn “accept the issues” with Apex Legends Season 15, claiming it will “only get worse” as the season wears on. Apex Legends Season 15 dropped back at the start of November, bringing new Legend Catalyst, the Broken Moon environment and much more. Plenty have been effusive in their praise for the new season and map, but pro player ImperialHal has been more reserved. He has previously stated it could be “doomed” and, more recently, criticized the cost of stickers in Season 15. Now, he has demanded that Respawn “accept the issues” with Season 15 in order to remedy a slump in player count compared to earlier in the year. ImperialHal calls on Respawn to “accept the issues” with Apex Legends Season 15 Hal also stated that Season 15’s player count will only get worse once its initial “honeymoon phase” ends. “”Season 15 will bring the players back”,” he said, before continuing: “We are already steadily losing players and this is just the beginning of a 70ish ranked split it will only get worse once the honeymoon phase goes away. When will Respawn accept the issues and abuse the opportunity they have with Apex?” Attached to his comments was a graphic showing a steady decline in player count on Apex Legends. In August 2022, the peak player count stood at over half a million players but, in November 2022, stands at 403,000. While still a monumental figure, it does reflect a drop in player count of roughly 20% and, as Hal pointed out, likely reflects an increase borne of Season 15’s earliest weeks and excitement for its new content. Apex Legends Season 15 is also chalked to be the longest in a long time, with Season 16 not expected until the middle of February 2023. That’s one thing compounding Hal’s fears, but it does give Respawn a lot of time to build on Season 15 and iron out the issues that still remain.

ImperialHal defends TSM’s conduct amid Apex Legends “data mining” controversy – Dexerto
ImperialHal defends TSM’s conduct amid Apex Legends “data mining” controversy ALGS / RespawnApex Legends pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has offered a lengthy response to TSM’s controversy regarding “data mining” game end-zones, explaining that he does not like how it was made all about TSM and that he does understand the issue fully. Apex Legends’ competitive community has recently been shrouded in division and confusion after claims surfaced that famed esports organization TSM had been “data mining” map endings to better understand how matches might end. The revelation divided pros, with some defending the org and suggesting it is a common tactic in the Apex Legends professional scene. They also pointed out that the information has been made publicly available in the past. Others, though, argued it amounted to breaking Respawn’s ‘competitive integrity’ rules and that a further investigation should take place. In a November 30 broadcast, TSM’s ImperialHal, who is not one of the individuals directly accused of carrying out the data mining, responded to the controversy fully. In a lengthy response, he explained that he dislikes how the entire situation has become oriented around TSM – reflecting an earlier claim he made that other teams had used the tactic – and explained that he does not fully agree with its labeling as “data mining”. “Bringing up the subject is fine but how it was carried out is not fine,” he said. “Utter bullsh*t. Raven could have left? Raven’s intention was to go in there and talk to them as like adults and explain everything. “I cannot explain the whole situation because I’m not gonna just open my f**king data and show it to you on stream just so I can prove what it’s all about and what it means. I cannot explain in words without having like a picture and that’s the issue. It makes me look sketchier right, but I either give away all my information so people can understand or I just keep my information to myself and people like [speculate].” He went on to explain that the publicity around the situation has been so acute his own father asked him for an explanation, but that he does not understand it sufficiently to explain it. He finished: “How am I supposed to explain to my father this whole thing I just can’t. I don’t even understand how it works. I just have a map bro and I can read the map. That’s all I know about it. I can’t even explain it to my Dad how it works, how am I supposed to explain it to thousands of people. “It isn’t even data mining. What I understand from Raven, it isn’t even data mining, it’s something different. But like I said I can’t explain it because I don’t understand it. So I’m not gonna speak because I don’t know what it would be described as, how the action is done. I’m just given information and that’s it.” At the time of writing, there has been no word on an ALGS or Respawn investigation into the matters.

ImperialHal defends Apex Legends’ controversial battle pass overhaul – Dexerto
ImperialHal defends Apex Legends’ controversial battle pass overhaul Respawn/ImperialHalApex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has defended Respawn’s decision to change the battle pass, claiming it was “stupid” to let players get it for free at times. While Apex Legends has remained pretty much the same for the last few years, Respawn Entertainment has made a few sweeping changes at times. Their newest has, however, been pretty controversial. The battle pass, which players were able to buy with Apex Coins, is now being switched up to include the addition of Premium+. Instead of using coins – which can be purchased with real money or earned in-game – players will only have the option to use their wallets for Premium+. While the community has been furious about the change, questioning if the battle royale is dying, Falcons Esports’ ImperialHal has defended the change. “The last thing I give a s*it about is how they make money. I care about what they do with the game. They can do whatever they want with the money, how they make money, whatever,” he said during his July 8 stream. “One thing I will say about this new Battle Pass thing is that people are complaining that you can’t use coins, you have to pay for it now. What is the difference? There’s literally no difference. You pay for f*cking coins, you pay for the battle pass. “To be honest, that was just f*cking stupid on their end (letting coins roll over to buy new battle passes). To be fair, that should not have been a thing in the first place, let’s be real here. Like EA, they’re greedy as f*ck or whatever, but for them to create an avenue to get something for free that has a price on it, should never have been a thing in the first place.” Timestamp of 0:25 The Falcons Esports star compared it to getting free beers if you just purchase one at a bar, which, of course, his viewers didn’t agree with whatsoever. Despite all the backlash, Respawn isn’t going to revert the battle pass changes anytime soon. So, players will have to vote with their wallets.

ImperialHal defends Apex Legends as solo-queue complaints continue – Dexerto
ImperialHal defends Apex Legends as solo-queue complaints continue Respawn EntertainmentTSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has surprised some of his viewers by defending how difficult solo-queuing is for players in Apex Legends Ranked modes, arguing that the game is fundamentally team-based. Solos and solo-queuing has long been a contentious topic in the Apex Legends community. It seems that a large portion of the player-base want a Solos mode added permanently to the Respawn battle royale, but the devs insist it is a team game, and legends are designed to work together and complement one another. That, in turn, has led to many frustrations amongst Ranked players, especially those who do not have two teammates to play with consistently. Solo queuing means being dropped into a team of strangers, and having to hope they have mics and are taking the game seriously. As such, some players have called on Respawn to alleviate solo-queuing issues and make the game more rewarding to reflect the increased challenges they face. However, ImperialHal has argued the counter. In a May 13 clip, the pro player outlined that solo-queuing Ranked should make the game more difficult, because it fundamentally goes against the BR’s team-based gameplay. “People are complaining that it’s hard to rank up because they’re solo queuing,” he explained. “But I’m telling them I feel like it’s reasonable to have a threshold for solo queuers to be able to reach. Like the game is a team game, you have to three-stack. If you’re not, you’re just handicapping yourself and you’re only gonna get so far with it.” He also argued that casual players are more likely to play alone, and so should be less bothered about their rank than those in teams who want to invest more time and climb up the leaderboards. Timestamp: 0:41 Hal’s comments will undoubtedly divide opinion to some extent. His teammates echoed his thoughts on the matter but some, especially those forced to solo queue, clearly want Respawn to do more. Only time will tell how, if at all, the devs want to help solo queuers.

ImperialHal & DarkZero core form new Apex Legends “superteam” under Falcon Esports – Dexerto
ImperialHal & DarkZero core form new Apex Legends “superteam” under Falcon Esports Joe Brady/EAA superteam consisting of Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen, Rhys “Zer0” Perry, and Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose has been signed under Falcon Esports for the upcoming Split 2. On May 13, TSM and ImperialHal announced after five years together, Hal would be leaving the team in a detailed goodbye message. The reason for his departure was so he could team up with Zer0 and Genburten. At the time, Genburten and Zer0 were still signed under DarkZero and it wasn’t clear if the trio would be joining a different org. On May 28, DarkZero announced both Zer0 and Genburten would be leaving the team after two years, which was immediately followed up by Falcons’ announcement. “Introducing the ultimate trio, our unstoppable Apex Legends superteam,” Falcons wrote in their announcement post. The signing of the trio not only marks a new era for North American ALGS as three of the most dominant players in the region team up, but it also marks Falcons’ entry into ALGS. The pedigree of the team is large, with the trio having a combined four Split Playoffs trophies and three ALGS Championships, with each of the members having one Championship to their names. Zer0 and Genburten won the 2022 ALGS Championship and the 2023 Split 2 Playoffs together in DarkZero, with Zer0 lifting the 2022 Split 2 Playoffs trophy, while ImperialHal lifted the 2023 ALGS Championship and 2023 Split 1 Playoffs trophies at TSM. Most recently, Zer0 and Genburten finished second place in the recent Split 1 Playoffs, losing out to REJECT WINNITY, while TSM finished in 17th place. The trio is slated to play in the regional ALGS Split 2 NA tournament on June 1 to qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs and is also slated to play in the Esports World Cup in July.

ImperialHal claims Crypto buffs will drastically change Apex Legends Season 12 meta – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Crypto buffs will drastically change Apex Legends Season 12 meta TSM / Respawn EntertainmentTSM pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes the Apex Legends meta will drastically change in Season 12, thanks in large part to the Crypto buffs. Changes to the Recon Legend are going to make things “really different”, he claimed. There’s a few movers and shakers expected in the Apex Legends Season 12 meta. Between the Caustic nerfs and Crypto buffs, as well as what else Respawn has cooked up, the tier list is bound to flip. However, it’s the latter change that has got pro players like ImperialHal talking. The TSM IGL is very wary of the other changes, but the Crypto buff has caught his eye. “The game is going to be really different next season,” Hal said. He explained how the buff is going to transform Crypto into a more aggressive Legend who can push with his team instead of just sitting on his drone. With the power of EMP being realized by some already as a counter to the Gibraltar meta, this change only makes it more potent. “You practically can throw your drone and EMP while moving. It’s like old EMP when basically you were able to EMP and your teammates wouldn’t be stunned,” he added. “Your teammates will still get stunned, but as a Crypto, instead of having to be in the actual drone, you can literally run up to somebody, throw it and detonate it while you’re moving towards them and fighting.” This was backed up by his teammate Evan ‘Verhulst’ Verhulst, who stated: “We’re going to see some variety next season.” With Pathfinder’s long-awaited passive rework, Gibraltar nerfs, and changes to the “scan meta” ravaging the game, Season 12 is set to be a big one — even if not all of these are expected to ship in the February 8 update. However, the Apex meta is moving, and we might be seeing a lot more Crypto in the top ranks and in ALGS soon enough.

ImperialHal criticizes Apex Legends Season 21 as the “exact same” except one thing – Dexerto
ImperialHal criticizes Apex Legends Season 21 as the “exact same” except one thing TSM/RespawnApex Legends star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen isn’t quite sold on the Season 21 update, saying the battle royale still feels like the “same game” even with some map changes. Typically, when a new season of Apex Legends came around, fans of Respawn’s battle royale would be treated to a new Legend, a new weapon, a host of map changes, and some legend tweaks. Even though new seasons are still rolling out every few months, not every update comes with a fresh legend. Season 21, did however, bring a new character into the mix – Alter – as well as some map changes to Broken Moon, a solos mode, a raft of weapon changes, and ping changes. Some fans have quickly claimed that the new season is the most fun they’ve had in a long time, however, not everyone is sold. TSM IGL ImperialHal has been left underwhelmed by the changes, even though he is a fan of the Broken Moon update. “Honestly, if it wasn’t for the new map, the game would f**king be the same exact thing,” the TSM star said on his stream. “I think the Broken Moon changes are really, really good and it’s actually fun to play on. “But, playing like World’s Edge or whatever the other map is, it’s kinda just like, practically, the same game. Like, nothing has basically changed in my opinion.” Timestamp of 0:27 Hal has been banging the drum for changes to Apex for some time, but he wants them to make sense. The two-time ALGS MVP wasn’t behind the plan to remove the drop ship from competitive play, claiming that it dropped the skill gap. He has also been hoping that problems with cheaters in Ranked games also gets ironed out. Though, that’s been going on for so long that it’s unlikely to ever be fully fixed.

ImperialHal claps back at Apex Legends pros over ALGS lag issue ‘helping’ TSM – Dexerto
ImperialHal claps back at Apex Legends pros over ALGS lag issue ‘helping’ TSM Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSTSM’s Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen took shots at a few of his fellow Apex Legends pros after they complained about his squad accidentally benefiting from an ALGS session lagging out. Even though the best of the best in Apex Legends are the ones fighting it out in ALGS play, they’re still susceptible to the same issues that everyone else faces in Ranked and more casual lobbies. Audio issues, looting being slow, and internet problems have all plagued the top level of competition at some point or another. The latter can, obviously, be rooted out when it comes to LAN, but most games take place online. The second split of the 22-23 season for North America got underway on March 11-12, and it didn’t take long for those pesky connectivity issues to raise their head, with a lobby lagging out and forcing players to restart. NA Apex Legends pros beef over ALGS lag issue Former Cloud9 pro Zach ‘Zach’ Mazer called it “frustrating” that Hal’s squad were in a position to score 0 points before the lag, and then went on to score 10. Though, he added that he was sure “nothing intentionally” caused the issue. Hal quickly clapped back at his pal, saying: “Very funny for a team to be talking confident that you were “killing” us when you just run like a b*tch to “fight” for your POI, I can’t wait til we meet again just watch.” Though some fans wrote it off as just friends being playful, Hal did ramp it up another notch when Zach’s teammate, Tyler ‘Dezignful’ Gardner, chimed in on the matter and told him to “pipe down.” “Already got more points this pro league than your entire career keep it up,” Hal quickly fired back. Though, Dezignful has since deleted his initial post. already got more points this pro league than your entire career keep it up — TSM ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) March 13, 2023 Despite winning the ALGS Split 1 playoffs in London back in early February, TSM has had a tough start to the second split, currently sat on the fringes of the playoffs in 16th.

ImperialHal claims Wraith buffs won’t make her meta in Apex Legends Season 16 – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Wraith buffs won’t make her meta in Apex Legends Season 16 Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen doesn’t think the Season 16 Wraith buffs will be enough to make her meta. Season 16 of Apex Legends is set to bring a huge amount of fresh content on February 14, including new character classes, the Nemesis AR, and of course, the TDM mode. Despite this, it’s the countless Legend buffs & nerfs that have the community most excited, as Respawn is making changes to nearly everyone on the roster. Wraith is included in this, with the Interdimensional Skirmisher’s Ultimate distance being doubled from 76m to 152m. Not only that, Wraith now increases her movement speed over time when creating longer portals. Although there’s no doubt this will boost her overall power, ImperialHal isn’t convinced it’ll be enough to make her meta. ImperialHal doesn’t think Wraith will be meta in Season 16 During a recent stream, one of ImperialHal’s viewers asked him whether he believes Wraith will be meta after her buffs coming in Season 16. In response, the TSM pro revealed that he doesn’t “believe Wraith will be good unless she moves really fast when she’s in ult, way faster”. From his perspective, “good teams can easily just capitalize when someone is in Wraith’s portal… I just don’t think it’s as good as people think”. Although Respawn has buffed the distance of Wraith’s portal, Hal doesn’t think that’s going to be impactful, arguing “when are you going to ever have time to run 150m?” With the changes scheduled to arrive in-game on February 14, the Apex community doesn’t have long to wait before they can test out the Wraith buffs for themselves. However, for Hal, they’re probably not going to be enough to propel Wraith into the meta or make her the Legend he’ll be piloting in the ALGS.

ImperialHal claims Taxi2g “asked” for Apex Legends ban by using ‘super glide’ exploit – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Taxi2g “asked” for Apex Legends ban by using ‘super glide’ exploit Respawn EntertainmentTeam SoloMid content creator ImperialHal has weighed in on Taxi2G’s Apex Legends ban for using the super glide exploit, saying his fellow streamer “asked for it”. Respawn Entertainment are known for an occasionally uncompromising streak when prominent community figures are found to be flouting the game’s mechanics. They proved this once again on January 13, when popular streamer Taxi2G received an in-game ban for his use of the ‘super glide’ exploit. The exploit relates to players climbing up ledges and sliding, which combines to thrust their character forward at an unnatural speed. While obviously not as egregious as wallhacks or aimbot, many have rightly pointed out that it makes the most of an unintended mechanic. That is the side of the fence Respawn came down on, and the streamer was promptly banned. https://twitter.com/alphaINTEL/status/1481663730157031430?s=20 Now, TSM content creator and former Apex Legends pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal‘ Dosen has offered his opinion, and he doesn’t have much sympathy for his fellow Apex streamer. Among other things, the 22 year old suggested Taxi “asked” for his ban by using a known exploit so obviously on stream. Hal said: “I don’t know bro. He just asked for it – to get banned. Like I get his argument… is he gonna really be that hard-headed to the point where he’s gonna be arguing with the devs what is bannable and what’s not? You’re a player bro, you’re like the bottom, you’re the peasant of your video game. You can’t be hard-headed to tell [a dev] what is bannable and what’s not bannable.” Timestamp: 0:45 He continued: “Especially when it’s your job. They [Respawn] have full control. They don’t give a f**k who you are. If you’re gonna start doing sh*t like that, they couldn’t care less if they perma-ban you off the game. Just stupid from my point of view. I understand it’s stupid for him to get perma-banned but you made multiple accounts… you knew why you got banned. He just asked for it.” Taxi has since streamed on Twitch, but played Overwatch as opposed to Apex Legends. He hasn’t responded to Hal’s comments but it’s clear that the TSM content creator has very limited sympathy for his fellow streamer.

ImperialHal claims “stupid” Nemesis AR is absurdly “broken” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims “stupid” Nemesis AR is absurdly “broken” in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has claimed the new Nemesis AR’s damage is “broken”, especially when it comes to beaming foes at medium-range. Season 16 of Apex Legends is here and the community is enjoying all of the new content that’s arrived. While features like the TDM mode, revamped Legend classes, and Firing Range rework are all being praised, it’s the Nemesis AR that’s getting the most attention. This powerful new burst weapon excels at medium to long range and has minimal recoil, making it simple to lock onto opponents. Well, after getting his hands on the Nemesis AR, ImperialHal is convinced the gun is completely “broken”. ImperialHal says Nemesis AR is “broken” in Apex Legends Following the Season 16 update, ImperialHal was streaming on Twitch and decided to pick up the Nemesis AR. After beaming down multiple foes and landing almost every single bullet with the gun, Hal made it clear that he believes the gun is “stupid” and far too powerful. Describing the Nemesis as “broken”, the TSM was shredding down enemies with no attachments equipped and the weapon still had seemingly no recoil at all. This makes the Nemesis extremely potent at medium to long range, especially if you have a top-tier scope on hand. In Hal’s opinion, the Nemesis is already one of the strongest guns in the Outlands, so we can expect him to be using the AR a lot. Whether Respawn decides to nerf the gun is impossible to know, but we’ll just have to wait and see how popular the Nemesis becomes throughout Season 16.

ImperialHal claims Seer is “insanely strong” in Apex Legends for third-partying – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Seer is “insanely strong” in Apex Legends for third-partying Respawn Entertainment/TSMPhilip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has claimed Seer is “insanely strong” at third-partying and that Respawn to need to implement something to counter his Ultimate. Ever since the release of Apex Legends back in 2019, third partying has been a major issue that the community has been extremely vocal about. There’s nothing worse than coming out on top in an intense gunfight, just to be pounced on by an opposing squad while you’re weak. While the devs have attempted to alter the maps and add features that directly counter third parties like the IMC Armories on Storm Point, it’s still an area of frustration for players. Well, according to ImperialHal it’s a specific Legend that’s causing the most problems when it comes to third-partying in Apex, and the culprit is Seer. ImperialHal blames Seer for Season 14 third-party issues During a recent stream, Hal and his squad were taking out a set of enemies when they were flanked by a third-party using Seer Ultimate. Exhibit immediately gave away their exact positions and as they were low on shields from the ongoing skirmish, they stood no chance against the third party. After the match, Hal revealed that Seer is the reason third partying is “insanely strong” in Season 14, claiming the Ambush Master has nullified the one counter that was armor swaps. According to him, Respawn either need to “nerf the f**k” out of him or introduce a new mechanic to counter the third-party problem. Topic starts at 0:35 This isn’t the first time pros and players have complained about third parties and it certainly won’t be the last. With Seer’s ability to pinpoint the location of enemies in an instant and stop them from regenerating their shields, he’s the perfect Legend for surprising a weakened squad. In Hal’s opinion, Seer is making certain fights “braindead”, because even if you get a three-man wipe, a Seer Ultimate will guarantee your death no matter the odds. We’ll have to wait and see whether Respawn addresses the issue in Season 15 as it could be an opportunity to implement changes to Seer.

ImperialHal claims PS5 controller is “way better” in Apex Legends but he can’t use it – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims PS5 controller is “way better” in Apex Legends but he can’t use it ImperialHal/SonyApex Legends star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes the PS5 controller has a significant advantage over the Xbox controller, however, he can’t actually use it. Just like many other cross-platform games, there has been a raging debate in Apex Legends between players who use keyboard and mouse, and those who use a controller. For those using a KB/M, they’ve been frustrated with the ‘soft aimbot’ that controller aim assist gives players in-game, while on the flip side, controller players have repeatedly pulled their hair out at the movement skills of PC players. Controller usage has even taken over competitive play in the last few months, with TSM’s ImperialHal winning MVP during ALGS playoffs while using it. While the kill leaderboards had also previously been dominated by controller players in ALGS events, Hal stood alone among the PC peripheral users in his win. ImperialHal gives PS5 controller big advantage over rivals in Apex Legends Given the wide range of controllers on the markets, players have plenty of options – from the stock Sony and Microsoft offerings to custom controllers. Though, Hal believes the PS5 controller stands above the rest, even if he can’t actually use it himself. “I’ve been trying to play on PS5 controller. Listen, the PS5 controller is f*cking broken, like it’s so good when it comes to input delay. There is such a big difference between PS5 input delay compared to Xbox, like, it’s way better,” Hal said during a recent stream. “But, the shape and the size of it does not fit my hand. My movement is not good on PS5 controller because my fingers can’t wrap around the controller, so my hands are uncomfortable. So, my movement suffers.” The TSM star added that the Xbox controller would have a “huge advantage” if the input delay between the two was the same, but, for whatever reason, that isn’t the case. While he hasn’t retired, Hal did recently note that he’d be cutting back on how Apex he plays. Still, he helped TSM to reach the ALGS Pro League NA Finals, scheduled for May 7, after a crucial victory on April 29.

ImperialHal claims one Apex Legend is “OP as f**k” in Season 20 despite low pick rate – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims one Apex Legend is “OP as f**k” in Season 20 despite low pick rate TSM/RespawnTSM star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has highlighted one Legend in Apex Legends Season 20 that is “OP as f*ck” despite barely being used by players. With the start of Apex Legends Season 20, Respawn once again decided to forego adding a new Legend to the battle royale. Instead, the focus was on the current roster of characters and overhauling them with Legend Upgrades. Of course, there have been a fair few buffs and nerfs on top of those upgrades too, but the new perks have taken the limelight a bit more – especially as they can be used to change a legend’s ability. As a result, the meta in Apex has undergone a bit of a change, with players returning to some legends that have slipped down the ranks after previous nerfs. And TSM’s ImperialHal has made his pick for one legend that is “OP as f*ck” in the new season. ImperialHal claims Valkyrie is “OP” in Apex Legends Season 20 The legend he has been hyping up? Well, that would be Valkyrie, and it’s thanks to her Ultimate feeling as strong as it did in previous seasons. “I think Valk is f*cking OP as f*ck right now. You literally cannot die. There’s no Charge Rifle or any guns that can just beam you out of the air. It’s so f*cking good,” the TSM IGL said during a recent stream. “Valk ULT is f*cking insane.” The two-time ALGS MVP further praised Valk as not being as one-dimensional as other Legends. “Valk has a lot more use outside of her ULT. She can fly, take height, she can be played late game. The missiles actually do damage, right? Valk is just an all-around better character in every way compared to Ash,” he added. Timestamp of 1:07 Hal also noted that the Recon legend feels like her “old herself,” especially when it comes to the Ultimate, because of the Charge Rifle’s nerf. He believes that Valkyrie will start to become a part of pro compositions once again. As per ApexLegendsStatus, Valkyrie’s usage is a little under 3%, and that includes an uptick since the start of Season 20. So, she’s clearly getting some love, it just remains to be seen if she’ll be completely meta once again.

ImperialHal claims new “UAV” perk in Apex Legends will ruin Season 16 Ranked – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims new “UAV” perk in Apex Legends will ruin Season 16 Ranked TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has explained why he’s not particularly looking forward to playing Ranked in Apex Legends Season 16 following the new changes to character classes. The wait for Season 16 has been the longest in Apex Legends yet, with Respawn Entertainment deciding to give the battle royale a pretty big facelift. For the first time ever, there won’t be a new legend featured in the new season, but we do have a new weapon coming in the form of the Nemesis AR. On top of that, a number of weapons have been balanced and there’s also a shake-up to the legend classes. Instead of the three original classes, legends have now been sorted into five different classes, each of which has its own unique perk. However, the Recon perk is already looking like it’ll cause some issues for ImperialHal. ImperialHal bemoans “UAV” in Apex Legends that will ruin Ranked For the newly-designated Recon legends, they’ll have the ability to scan beacons in a different way. Instead of getting the next circle location, Recon characters will get to see the location of players for up to 30 seconds. “I’m just not looking forward to Ranked next season, because of the map room scan thing that can be done,” Hal said, comparing the change to the Map Room POI that had a similar ability. “So, certain characters like Seer, Bloodhound, Vantage, and Crypto hit a map room scan where you can see the entire map where everybody is and I’m not looking forward to that in Ranked. It’s like a f*cking UAV type of thing.” Timestamp of 0:50 The ability to see enemy positions more frequently will likely prompt more engagements, which could speed up the typically slower high-level matches. Of course, if things get out of hand, Respawn may be forced to make a change, but don’t count on that happening in the early days of the new season.

ImperialHal claims Horizon hasn’t actually been nerfed despite Harbinger event changes – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Horizon hasn’t actually been nerfed despite Harbinger event changes Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legend star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has given his initial take on the new Horizon nerf as he’s unsure if the scientist feels any different after the changes. Changes to Apex Legends’ roster of characters typically come around at the start of a new season or whenever Respawn deems someone to be slightly too overpowered for whatever reason. Some also come around during mid-season events, just like the recent Harbingers collection event, which saw Horizon and Revenant both hit with pretty sizable nerfs. Horizon’s Gravity Lift was the main target of her changes, with players now spending less time up on top of it and being less accurate while firing up there. The changes to Horizon are incredibly notable for competitive players, seeing as the Scottish scientist played a key role in the ALGS meta. She featured in the top two combinations of trios, which were both comfortably ahead of any other options. ImperialHal unsure Apex Legends meta will shift after Horizon nerf While a number of players have been concerned about the change and what impact it could have on Horizon’s standing in the meta, ImperialHal is unsure that too much has changed. The TSM star, who has made Horizon one of his signature legends over the last few years, tested the changes out in a recent round of scrims. “Even though those scrims are pretty bad, Horizon doesn’t seem that much different to be honest,” Hal said after the practice games had concluded. “I don’t think the meta changes right now, at all.” Timestamp of 3:05 As noted, if Horizon was to drop out of the meta, that would be an incredibly significant change compared to the last few months. Though, Hal clearly doesn’t think that’s going to happen. The only big change that’s seemingly in the works is the possibility of Olympus entertaining the ALGS map pool. Pros have been testing it out to provide feedback for EA, but they’re not all massive fans.

ImperialHal claims EU Apex Legends pros have “dogsh*t” gun-skill vs NA teams – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims EU Apex Legends pros have “dogsh*t” gun-skill vs NA teams Joe Brady/ ALGSTSM player, ALGS Split 1 playoff champion and MVP Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen was asked about EU Apex Legends team Fire Beaver’s chances at the next international tournament. The pro said the team won’t be able to handle going up against a North American team as EU teams have “dogsh*t” gun-skill. Tensions between European and North American teams have started to rise as the ALGS Split 2 playoffs start date marches closer. In a recent stream, TSM’s ImperialHal was asked about the EU team Fire Beavers and its chances at LAN. The player then went into how the whole of the region is not great at fighting, and that Fire Beavers would not fare well in NA ALGS. “EU’s gun-skill is so f****** dogsh*t. Like, EU’s passive and their gun-skill is so bad. Their mechanics in that region are so dogsh*t, for the majority of that region,” ImperialHal said. The Apex Legends pro goes on to say that some EU teams, mainly the top-rated ones like Alliance and Fire Beavers, can fight three vs. three well but they are more of an anomaly. Fire Beavers currently sit third on the EMEA ALGS ladder and are in a strong position to qualify for the Split 2 LAN tournament. ImperialHal goes in on EU Apex Legends teams ImperialHal also said that this isn’t a new position he is claiming, he’s always thought EU teams were bad at taking three vs. three gunfights since the start of ALGS. “It’s happened every single time,” ImperialHal said. “EU teams always get rolled by NA teams in team fights. Always, this has not changed. Which is why Fire Beaver just roll that region because they actually have good gun-skill and they play aggressively against the teams, which is the majority of the lobby, that don’t know how to fight or take three vs. threes.” ImperialHal finished his rant by claiming most EU teams only know about positioning and rotating, so when it comes to fighting they are usually outmatched against NA teams that love to scrap. North America and Europe will meet at the ALGS Split 2 playoffs when the competition starts on July 13.

ImperialHal claims Bloodhound is still meta in Apex Legends despite nerfs – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Bloodhound is still meta in Apex Legends despite nerfs Respawn/EAApex Legends star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen is unsure that the new Bloodhound nerf will see them fall out of the meta, even though some players are worried that Respawn has killed the character. Over the last few years, Respawn has had a few challenges when it comes to balancing the scan legends in Apex Legends. Seer was, at one point, far too overpowered but subsequent nerfs saw him fall out of the meta conversation altogether. As an original part of the Legend roster, Bloodhound has undergone a fair few changes themselves, but the most recent set has seen the Apex Games’ favorite hunter nerfed in a big way. Some players are concerned that the changes to Bloodhound’s ultimate and upgrades have killed the legend, but Falcons Esports star ImperialHal doesn’t agree with that assessment just yet. “Bloodhound might still be meta, but it’s hard to say to be honest,” the two-time ALGS MVP said after the Double Take Collection Event patch notes dropped. “I really think this is the same case scenario where Seer got his Ult nerfed really hard and they buffed the Q (tactical) basically. “I just feel like you have to play Bloodhound differently now compared to how it used to be. Like you have to hard play off the scans and s*it.” Even though Bloodhound has been Hal’s main legend for a while, he has been experimenting with Seer since the nerf too. However, he isn’t a massive fan of him, calling the character “slow” after a few games. Hal had previously said that he believed Seer would be a key part in the upcoming meta, partnering with Bangalore for most times. He’s also flirted with the idea of running Catalyst in games too, so we’ll just have to wait and see where he eventually lands.

ImperialHal worried Apex Legends’ new legend Seer could be “really broken” – Dexerto
ImperialHal worried Apex Legends’ new legend Seer could be “really broken” Respawn / Twitch: ImperialHalTSM Apex Legends pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen claims the upcoming addition to the Apex Legends roster, Seer, seems “really broken” on paper. Apex Legends Season 9 is drawing to its end, and that means all eyes have turned on what lies ahead in Season 10. The new legend, Seer, is at the centerpiece of all the attention, especially after fears that he’s going to be overpowered. The consensus is that his tactical ability, ‘Focus of Attention,’ is like Bloodhound’s ‘Eye of the Allfather’ but stronger. In addition to marking enemies and revealing their location and health for eight seconds, it also interrupts item usage and revives. However, ImperialHal is more focused on the fact the new legend seems “broken.” He summarized his thoughts in a tweet, saying, “These Apex Legends developers really thought it was a good idea to put a silence and a wallhack on a tactical ability.” These mf Apex Devs really thought it was a good idea to put a SILENCE and a WALL HACK on a tactical ability 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 FUCK ME@NOW SHHSDHSHE DHDBDBDBDHEB — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) July 26, 2021 He elaborated on his point while streaming, saying, “Looking at the patch notes and how they describe abilities, it seems really broken. Being able to wallhack somebody and stop someone from healing is pretty f**king broken.” He did admit that it’s impossible to know for sure until he plays him. However, he still believes all the signs point towards him being overpowered. ImperialHal has been vocal about developers ignoring his and other players’ feedback and concerns in the past. It will be interesting to see whether they take his thoughts on board this time around. Keep in mind, though, that Respawn already played down fears that Seer could make Bloodhound obsolete. We’ll have to wait and see how it looks as the new season draws closer.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends Season 16 will spawn players with P2020 – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends Season 16 will spawn players with P2020 ALGS / RespawnApex Legends pro player Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has claimed that the BR’s upcoming Season 16 will spawn players into matches with a P2020 pistol, in what would be a major change to looting. Looting is always one of the most important aspects of a battle royale. Typically spawning in with very little, players must explore POIs to secure guns, equipment and more to propel them towards victory. Apex Legends is no different. While some LTMs, like Locked and Loaded, have tweaked the formula and let players drop in with some gear, the overwhelming majority of Apex matches drop Legends in completely unequipped. From there, it’s an all-out race to secure weapons and eliminations. However, that all might be about to change in Season 16. Apex Legends Season 16 may spawn players with a P2020 The new season, which is already set to bring a major overhaul to Legend classes and abilities, may also give players a weapon when they drop. According to ImperialHal, that weapon will be the P2020. In a December 27 livestream, the TSM pro player casually claimed that, from Season 16, players will spawn into matches with a P2020 in-hand. “We’ll be spawning with a P2020 for next season,” he said. “You guys are ready for that.” He didn’t elaborate on the claims, but pro players are known to get early access to future builds of titles in order to provide developers with feedback. It will be a first for Apex Legends. Back in late 2021, the devs doubled down on their refusal to let players spawn in with weapons. It was explained that early-game scenarios are more balanced and better-paced when players spawn without weapons. They are forced to look for loot, as opposed to instantly pushing teams and wiping enemies within the first few minutes of a match. Assuming Hal’s intel is correct though, we can expect another huge change when Season 16 drops around the middle of February 2023. Naturally, though, players should not take this as confirmed until Respawn or EA make it official.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends reload hack will “kill” Ranked if not fixed – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends reload hack will “kill” Ranked if not fixed ImperialHal/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes the new reload hack in Apex Legends could “kill” Ranked play, even though Respawn does have a fix in the works. Just like every other battle royale game out there, Apex Legends has faced its fair share of issues with hackers and cheats trying to get a leg up on the competition in unfair ways. Many of these issues have revolved around DDOS attacks on lobbies and players, but there have also been aimbot and god mode cheats as well. Though, Respawn has constantly been on the front foot and tried to root out these problems before they become too widespread. The newest hack, which sees players constantly reloading, is slightly different. It makes players unable to fight back and has quickly spread through lobbies – both at a low level and in the highest part of competitive play. ImperialHal claims Apex Legends reload hack could “kill” Ranked ImperialHal had managed to avoid the hack until his March 5 stream, but quickly became bemused by what he was seeing when it finally befell him and his team. The TSM star couldn’t believe that he was unable to properly reload his gun, and his teammates urged them to try and find an L-Star as quickly as possible, as that is unaffected by the hack. They were unable to do so, and were knocked out with only a handful of squads remaining. Hal joked that he may have to play Minecraft until the hack is wiped out. “That would kill Ranked if that kept happening, literally,” he said. As of writing, Respawn haven’t quite patched the problem just yet, but Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford confirmed that a fix is in the works and should be deployed soon. Until then, players run the risk of being unable to fight back in certain situations, which is just incredibly annoying.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is in “worst state” ever as players abandon it – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is in “worst state” ever as players abandon it TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has revealed some reasons as to why he thinks Apex Legends has fallen off in recent months, including a large amount of “bland” content being added. While the battle royale hasn’t seen any new games added to the mix in a little while, games like Apex Legends and Warzone have been suffering. Players have turned their backs on both games in recent weeks, opting to play different things. In the case of Apex, many have put it down to the game being in that period before a big new update is released. Respawn hasn’t changed all that much recently and players have grown a little bored with how stale things have gotten – especially in Ranked play. ImperialHal echoed that wide-reaching sentiment during a recent stream, as he gave some reasons as to why he thinks the game has dropped off a little bit, including the “terrible” Ranked system. Hal says Apex Legends is in “worst state” it’s ever been “I feel like they (Respawn) just think that ‘ok, we’re just catering to casuals and then we’re just going to make the content so bland that nobody can stream the game,’” the TSM pro said. Hal added that the battle royale is in the “worst state it’s ever been” given the issues with Ranked and being matched with way lower-skilled players. “Nobody wants to watch people play Ranked and that’s all we have to play,” he added. “It’s actually insane how hard comp Apex carries the game it feels like, when it comes to viewership. If we didn’t have comp Apex, this game, I don’t even know,” Hal added, agreeing with another player who said it would be “dead” with competitive. The TSM star also noted that a fair few streamers and content creators have started playing other games and he rarely sees people he follows on Twitch streaming the battle royale. “All the people who content create in this game don’t last because it’s hard,” he continued. Leakers have claimed that the new season of Apex will include some big changes, but it remains to be seen if that will help turn things around.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is in one of “dumbest” metas ever right now – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is in one of “dumbest” metas ever right now TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Apex Legends is going through one of its “dumbest” metas currently thanks to the influx of players using sniper rifles, especially the Charge Rifle. With so much of the focus of Apex Legends being put on the legends and their unique abilities, that is, for the most part, what has shaped the meta over the last few years. Though, weapons have obviously played their role too. No one will forget the R400 meta – where players religiously carried the R301 and R99 together – in a hurry or be able to forget when the Flatline completely dominated back in Seasons 11 and 12. Even though Season 16 is getting ready to wind down, the meta has shifted a little bit recently, as players have started focusing more on snipers. Though, ImperialHal is not a fan. ImperialHal bashes ‘dumb’ sniper meta in Apex Legends The TSM star, who recently joined other Apex pros in wanting the Charge Rifle to be looked at by Respawn, called the increased use of snipers one of the “dumbest” metas that the battle royale has seen. “So many people say the sniper thing has always been a thing, that is not true at all. The amount of snipers have literally quadrupled in the lobbies, like, it happens in ALGS and anything else comp-related,” Hal said during a recent stream as he waited to get back into another game. “It is one of the dumbest metas in this game. it will do like 50-100 damage from 200 meters, or even more than that.” Timestamp of 0:28 Looking at the Charge Rifle specifically, he added that the gun has “always been broken” but believes it’s gotten more shine as Rampart has crept into the meta. Given that Season 17 is only a few weeks away, a change now is unlikely, but a bigger shakeup should come when that update rolls around at the start of May.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is going “downhill so hard” on Twitch – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends is going “downhill so hard” on Twitch Respawn EntertainmentTSM pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has claimed that Apex Legends is going “downhill” on Twitch as so many streamers are quitting Respawn’s battle royale. Apex Legends has always been a popular category on Twitch, with countless pros and streamers looking to showcase their skills on the Outlands. Despite this, recently a lot of well-known Apex personalities have been making the shift to other games or quitting completely. While all of them have their different reasons, the main factors appear to be matchmaking, Ranked problems, rampant cheating, and a lack of new content. Well, ImperialHal has claimed that these streamers leaving has caused the Apex Twitch scene to go “downhill” and he doesn’t see it getting better anytime soon. ImperialHal claims Apex is going “downhill” on Twitch During a recent stream, one of ImperialHal’s viewers brought up the state of Apex on Twitch and the TSM pro was not optimistic about its future. Telling his fans to “look at the category of Apex”, Hal mentions that aceu, LuluLuvely, daltoosh, and NICKMERCS are all playing the game less or have left altogether. In his eyes, this is an indication that Apex on Twitch is going “downhill” and he doesn’t see what Respawn can do to bring them all back. Even as someone who plays Apex regularly, Hal revealed that he’s growing “tired” of “sucking” up all the problems and talked about potentially going pro in another game in the future. Despite this, the TSM pro has voiced his excitement for the major changes coming with Season 16, so it’s possible the update will be enough to draw a lot of the popular Apex personalities back. However, for now, it’s clear Hal is frustrated with a lot of the problems affecting Apex and is concerned that so many streamers are deciding to play Overwatch 2, Tarkov, and Warzone 2 instead.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends “f**ked” itself by making Ranked changes too late – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends “f**ked” itself by making Ranked changes too late TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Respawn “f*cked” Apex Legends by making the Ranked mode so easy for so long, and that’s why players are leaving now. Pretty much since Apex Legends first launched back in February 2019, there have been tonnes of complaints about Ranked Play. The mode is designed to let players test themselves against the best of the best, but it’s not always been that way. Early on in Ranked’s lifecycle, players were able to qualify for top levels and then give up on the game for a while, essentially hogging the top spots and keeping them locked from other players. In Season 13, Respawn eventually addressed this issue with a change to how Ranked points work. It’s now viewed as being much more difficult to achieve the Apex Predator and Master levels, and that has driven some players away. ImperialHal believes Apex Legends “f*cked” itself with Ranked changes According to Hal, it has all been self-inflicted by Respawn, and had they made a change sooner, they wouldn’t be seeing players walk away now. “Apex has completely fucked themselves with the ranked system because they made it so easy for so long,” he said during a recent stream. “They basically built a player foundation on an easy ranked system and if you ever want to backpedal out of that it’s going to be very hard because you’re dealing with a lot of players. “If they started the way they did with Season 13 in the beginning, they wouldn’t be losing players.” Timestamp of 0:40 Hal’s reference to players walking away from the battle royale is backed up by SteamChart’s data, which says the average player count has dropped by over 35,000 in the last month. Apex is still in a pretty healthy position, though, with an average of around 200,000 players. Though, he might not be completely off base with his take.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends delayed a big change for Season 19 – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends delayed a big change for Season 19 Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSTSM star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has claimed that Respawn delayed a pretty significant change for Apex Legends Season 19, but he’s not sure when it might actually be released. Over the past few weeks, Apex Legends players have been getting ready to say goodbye to Season 18 and waiting for the teases for Season 19 to start ramping up. Respawn finally stopped dropping details about Season 19 back on October 26, as Conduit was revealed as the brand-new legend, and it was also confirmed that Storm Point would be undergoing a makeover. Of course, that wasn’t all, as cross-progression is finally coming and there will also be changes to the Ranked system. However, it also appears as if there was another big change that was supposed to come in Season 19 that hasn’t made the cut. ImperialHal hints at big feature being cut from Apex Legends Season 19 That’s according to ImperialHal who had been giving his thoughts on the new changes and revealing why none of them really excited him. “I was excited for the one thing that’s not talked about yet, but I don’t think that’s happening. I don’t think I’m excited for anything, being honest. It seems like the game is going to be pretty much the same,” Hal said. He didn’t reveal any further details about the thing he was being cryptic about but was joined by fellow pro Zach who was similarly vague. “I don’t think it should have happened this season, there’s no way that’s ready bro,” he said. Hal added that he’s excited for a “big change” as it would help him enjoy the game a bit more outside of competing. That then sparked Zach to label it as a “big reset” for the battle royale. The TSM IGL also noted that he didn’t test the upcoming season like a few other pros, so he was clearly hinting at something that has been in the works for a while. Though, it’s just going to be a case of wait and see for at least another season.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends DDoS protection “made it even worse” – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends DDoS protection “made it even worse” TSM/RespawnApex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Respawn’s improvements to DDoS protection have only made things “worse” for players. Unlike some of its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends hasn’t had too many widespread problems with cheaters. Sure, hackers have popped up from time to time, but they’re rooted out more quickly than in Warzone. Though, there has been an ongoing battle with DDoS attacks. These attacks have been primarily used in Ranked lobbies, with the attackers using them to completely shut down enemies and farm them for easy ranked points. This has led to many DDoSers occupying top spots as well. Respawn have banned quite a few of the most notable attackers, and have implemented improvements that are designed to protect players. However, ImperialHal believes it’s only gotten worse. ImperialHal believes Apex Legends DDoS protection has made things “worse” The TSM star aired his frustrations during his January 27 stream, as he claimed that the DDoS protection is a stepback now that attackers can target one single player instead. “Honestly, I think the DDoS protection made it even worse because not only when you DDoS, you DDoS the whole server the first time. Now, you can somehow DDoS singular people. Somehow,” Hal said. “You can legit DDoS one person and just get them killed. It’s not the whole server anymore, it’s just one person.” It didn’t take long for him to become the target of an attack either, as Hal quickly quit out of a game after it became laggy due to DDoS’ing. Timestamp of 0:49 As we’ve seen before, DDoSers aren’t shy about going after some of the biggest names in Apex, and will openly flaunt their attacks while someone is streaming. The ability to go after single players makes this an even bigger concern than before, because at least when they went after a server of players, you could quit and start fresh before long. We’ll just have to wait and see if Respawn has something else up their sleeve.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends actually buffed Seer rather than nerfing him – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends actually buffed Seer rather than nerfing him TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen is a little unsure about the nerf Seer has gotten in Apex Legends’ Dressed to Kill event, suggesting Respawn actually “buffed” him. When Respawn Entertainment rolls out a big update for Apex Legends, fans are always excited for changes both to the current crop of legends and the weapons. At times over the past few seasons, Seer has been the dominant legend in the battle royale. His powerful scans, whether it be Focus of Attention or Exhbit, have caused much annoyance to players on the other end of playing against him. In the brand-new Dressed to Kill collection event, the Ambush Artist was hit with some substantial nerfs, with the range of each ability being shortened, as well as the amount of time he is able to scan for. ImperialHal unconvinced by Seer nerfs in Apex Legends Dressed to Kill event However, according to ImperialHal, Seer may have actually been buffed now that Respawn have given him the ability to highlight the full body of enemies back again. The TSM IGL was going over the changes shortly after the June 15 update, revealing he wasn’t at all convinced by the changes. “They just straight up buffed his ass,” Hal said after hearing about the full body scan change. “It’s the same shit as last time. When Seer got nerfed, everyone was like ‘Oh s*it’ remember? And then I think I tweeted out ‘Seer is broken and nobody is playing him’.” His TSM teammates agreed with his take on things too, with Raven adding: “This character does not seem nerfed in any way at all.” Jordan ‘Reps’ Wolfe added that Seer could actually be “broken” after the changes. It remains to be seen if that will translate to the wider player base or if Seer’s pick rate will see a genuine drop-off, however.

ImperialHal changes stance on “trash” Apex Legends Ranked system in Season 13 – Dexerto
ImperialHal changes stance on “trash” Apex Legends Ranked system in Season 13 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has changed his stance on the Season 13 Ranked changes, calling the new system “trash” due to the matchmaking. Season 13 of Apex Legends introduced a range of significant features to the game, but it’s safe to say the Ranked Reloaded rework garnered most of the attention. After countless requests, Respawn finally made drastic changes to the competitive mode, adding demotion, a Rookie tier, and improving the way in which players gain RP. Unfortunately, the majority of the community felt as if the update made Ranked less fun and discouraged competitors from taking gunfights. While pros like ImperialHal fired back against this criticism at first, even he has changed his mind and called out the new system as “trash” in a recent stream. ImperialHal slams “trash” Season 13 Ranked system During his June 5 stream, ImperialHal was asked for his opinion on the Season 13 Ranked rework once again. Surprisingly, the TSM pro revealed that he’d changed his stance on the update and called out the competitive mode as “trash”. According to Hal, he liked Ranked at the beginning of Saviors but as the weeks have passed, the mode has got worse and worse. For him, the issue with Ranked Reloaded is the “bot” opponents he’s being matched up against, effectively making lobbies too easy for his skill level. This aligns with the overall complaints from the community about matchmaking and the fact that Gold competitors are being put in matches with Diamond and Master level players. With the initial line of changes taking countless seasons for Respawn to implement, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes for them to address the issues players have with Ranked Reloaded. On the whole, it appears to be the matchmaking that’s receiving the majority of the criticism as according to the community, lobbies are simply not balanced correctly. This isn’t a new problem in Apex so it’s hard to know if the devs will be able to find a solution. Either way, the playerbase has made it very clear that they’re not happy with the current state of Ranked.

ImperialHal “can’t wait” for Apex Legends Season 16 after pro playtest – Dexerto
ImperialHal “can’t wait” for Apex Legends Season 16 after pro playtest Respawn Entertainment/TSMApex Legends pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has revealed that he “can’t wait” for Season 16 after playtesting the upcoming content. Now the Wintertide Collection Event has passed in Apex Legends, the community has its eyes firmly set on Season 16. The major update is scheduled to arrive in early to mid-February and players have already begun speculating on what Respawn has planned. While the devs have hinted at major balance changes and leaks have indicated a class overhaul could be on the cards, nothing has been confirmed. However, after playtesting the Season 16 content, ImperialHal has revealed that he “can’t wait” for the update, and for someone whose usually very skeptical about the dev’s decisions, this was a reaction his fans didn’t expect. ImperialHal is excited for Apex Legends Season 16 During a recent stream, ImperialHal revealed to his viewers that he’d been given the chance to play test Season 16 early. After getting his hands on the new content, Hal said he “can’t wait” for the major update, with the pro even having to stop and remark “oh my god” at the thought of it. For someone who is rarely excited about new content or the direction of the game, this was a reaction none of his viewers were expecting. Season 16 must have really impressed Hal, which suggests Respawn has something massive planned for February. Unfortunately, Hal didn’t hint at any of the features or content coming with Season 16 in the stream and only briefly touched on the topic. However, as always, the devs are likely to tease some of their changes on Twitter and dataminers are always hard at work trawling through the files.

ImperialHal calls out “cringe” Apex Legends pros refusing to buy skins – Dexerto
ImperialHal calls out “cringe” Apex Legends pros refusing to buy skins Respawn Entertainment/TSMTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has called out “cringe” Apex Legends pros that refuse to buy skins & Heirlooms, saying they should “show some support”. As a free-to-play FPS, Apex Legends relies on the sales of cosmetics to generate profit and continue live-service updates. While the community is aware of this, there has been growing frustration among players that skins are becoming too expensive and Heirlooms are overpriced. This came to a boiling point with the release of the Celestial Sunrise event on January 24, where instead of an Heirloom, Respawn released the Jadeite Retribution Peacekeeper which cost a total of $160 to unlock through packs. Well, after unlocking the reactive skin on stream, ImperialHal called out “cringe” pros who refuse to buy skins, saying “people whose job is to play the game” should “show some support” to EA and Respawn. ImperialHal calls out pros for not buying Apex Legends cosmetics During a recent stream, ImperialHal decided to unlock the Jadeite Retribution Peacekeeper and called out the “cringe” pros who are refusing to buy skins because they think they’re overpriced. Although he understands “Respawn and EA can be not the best”, he thinks pros “might as well give them 160 bucks” because the developers are the reason they have a job. According to him, these pros need to get their “head out their arse” and “show some support” as the devs “can’t be perfect all the time”. It’s clear Hal feels that he owes EA and Respawn for the career he’s built in Apex Legends and believes skins are a good way to give back. It’s worth noting that Hal says he understands “it’s different for casual people” and that he can see why normal everyday players are getting angry. However, for him, Apex pros need to realize that without EA they wouldn’t have a career, and therefore, he thinks they should buy the game’s cosmetics.

ImperialHal calls out “bad” Apex Legends players who hate new Ranked system – Dexerto
ImperialHal calls out “bad” Apex Legends players who hate new Ranked system Respawn Entertainment/TSMTSM pro player Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has called out the “bad” Apex Legends players that are complaining about the new Ranked system. Apex Legends Season 13 arrived on May 10 and although Newcastle made his debut in the Outlands, the majority of the attention went towards the new Ranked system. With demotion finally being added and a new Rookie tier being introduced for less experienced players, the community was excited to jump into the mode and start climbing. However, since the Ranked Reloaded system has arrived, competitors have been divided over whether changes were positive, with a lot of players complaining that Ranked is now too difficult. Well, ImperialHal decided to send a message to those who aren’t happy with Ranked in Saviors, calling them “bad” at the game. ImperialHal calls out players complaining about Ranked Ahead of Season 13, ImperialHal was extremely vocal about Ranked needing significant changes and now they’ve arrived, it’s obvious he’s pleased with the competitive mode in Saviors. However, after seeing the countless complaints about the new system from some of the community, Hal decided to take to Twitter on May 24 and send a message to those who aren’t happy with Ranked Reloaded. Calling out those who dislike the new Ranked system as “bad at Apex”, it’s obvious he feels as if demotion has finally placed players where they belong on the ladder. Before the changes arrived, competitors could simply reach a tier and know they were safe for the remainder of the split – but this is no longer the case. If you don’t like the new Ranked system, you’re just bad at Apex. — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) May 24, 2022 As expected, not everyone agreed with Hal’s statement and instead argued that the Ranked experience for solo players has been damaged. Not only that, it’s clear some competitors are not enjoying how seriously everyone is taking the new Ranked matches, with a lot of teams “camping” the final ring with meta compositions including Caustic, Valk, and Gibraltar. I hate it but I’m good… just not fucking brain dead enough to play it… it’s not fun for me and I’d like to keep my brain cells rather than give them all to the 10 teams camping with caustic in end zone — Luka (@FLUIDITY_O) May 24, 2022 Despite there being a huge divide, Respawn is unlikely to revert or make any significant new Ranked changes in the near future, so the competitive mode will not be changing any time soon. We’ll have to wait and see whether the community warms to Ranked Reloaded, or whether the complaints will continue to flood in throughout Season 13.

ImperialHal blown away by NICKMERCS’ insane clutch in Apex Legends LCQ – Dexerto
ImperialHal blown away by NICKMERCS’ insane clutch in Apex Legends LCQ Twitch: ImperialHal/NickMercsTSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen was left a bit mind-blown by Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff’s Valkyrie play to clutch up in the Apex Legends Last Chance Qualifiers. After switching from Warzone to Apex Legends, NICKMERCS has risen up the ranks of the competitive side of Respawn’s battle royale, to the point where he wants to go pro. While some critics claimed he got “carried” at first, the FaZe Clan star has impressed in his own right, reaching Predator rank and even taking on some of the best teams in the game as he aims to make it into the Apex Legends Global Series. On May 7, he and his Tripods squad took part in the Last Chance Qualifier, looking to get even close to having a shot at ALGS glory. So, when Nick pulled out a clutch play to give them life, ImperialHal couldn’t quite believe what he saw. The FaZe Clan streamer was stuck by himself during the fourth game of the LCQ as he took up a low ground position at Lava Fissure. Nick hid for a few moments as other teams fought, but he eventually had to get involved. “Oh s**t, passion! Oh my God,” Hal called out as Nick started cleaning up enemies who were falling in front of him before he used Valkyrie’s jets to reposition amid all the chaos. “How is this working? What is this team right there doing?” the TSM pro exclaimed. “Old man is doing it right now bro!” Nick eventually got into a position to claim some key placement points for his team, and even managed to take out an enemy before the circle squeezed him into an uncomfortable position. He and his squad were eliminated in third, but Hal was impressed and applauded the effort. “That was good, that was good!” he concluded. The effort from Nick helped his team claim some valuable points on their way to qualifying for the Grand Finals of the Last Chance Qualifier as they claimed a top ten spot. To claim a spot in the ALGS, they do have to finish as one of the top two teams, which will be difficult. Though, it’s not impossible. So, we’ll just wait and see if he can continue on his meteoric rise.

ImperialHal blasts “useless” character that used to be meta in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal blasts “useless” character that used to be meta in Apex Legends Respawn/ImperialHalApex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Seer is “useless” in Season 21, as he is unlikely to use the Recon legend moving forward. Whenever a new season for Apex Legends comes around, it not only affects casual and ranked players, but it also has a massive knock-on for the competitive side of the game as well. Given his standing as a two-time ALGS MVP, ImpeiralHal is the loudest voice that the pro scene has, and the Falcons Esports star isn’t afraid of pointing out when he thinks something is us. He’s recently called the battle royale’s obsession with nerfing characters “boring” and would like to see “OP” legends make a return. Another character he’d like to see changed seems to be Seer too, as he claimed that the Recon legend is “pointless” right now. “Seer is absolutely f*cking boring and useless in Ranked. I don’t even want to play Seer in comp either, that character is f*cking useless,” Hal said during his July 2 stream. “The character is only good for his ult. The Q is actually useless. The issue with the Q is that everything that is revolving around the Q, like the silence and wall hacks, everything is like two seconds. The time of it is so short, the fact is you can’t capitalize on it anyway. “The wall hack is shorter than the silence, I’m pretty sure, and then the silence is too short to play off of it anyway. You don’t get silenced long enough to do anything.” Timestamp of 0:40 Hal wasn’t finished there as he further called the tactical “pointless” and that playing as Seer is “slow” as a whole. “Seer is only useful because of the Ult. The Seer passive is good, I just wish it wasn’t so fucking slow for me to use,” he added. The Falcons Esports star had earlier pointed to Seer being a key part of the meta, but it seems like he won’t be playing him. Hal has flirted with the idea of running Catalyst, so that might be his main for this season.

ImperialHal blasts Apex Legends devs over “embarrassing” stealth Horizon nerf – Dexerto
ImperialHal blasts Apex Legends devs over “embarrassing” stealth Horizon nerf ALGS / RespawnTSM pro Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has blasted Respawn over secret changes made to Horizon’s Gravity Lift, which dropped with the Apex Legends Spellbound Collection Event on January 10. The Spellbound Collection Event dropped in-game on January 10. Alongside the much-coveted Seer Heirloom, it also dropped Private Matches in Apex Legends for the first time. However, players have quickly realized that some changes made did not feature in the update’s patch notes. Specifically, Season 7 legend Horizon has received a stealth nerf, with her Gravity Lift Tactical now giving a serious accuracy penalty. While some praised the weakening of one of Apex’s strongest legends, others were frustrated by significant balancing adjustments being omitted from the patch notes. ImperialHal criticizes secret Horizon nerf Siding with the latter was ImperialHal, who blasted the devs for the changes. In particular, he expressed his unhappiness with the community for demanding changes, claiming they simply struggled to play with and against Horizon. “One of the few legends with an insane skill gap praised being nerfed since they couldn’t utilize it properly,” he said. Truly (embarrassing to see), oh well.” Debating the issues with OXG Esports’ Hill, he joked that players prefer legends who “play the game for you”. He even quipped that it might be time to retire and start a family as a result of the nerf to Horizon. We highly doubt that the changes will push one of the best Apex players in the world into retirement, but it’s clear that Hal thinks Respawn could have handled Horizon better. Currently, there’s speculation that the changes were an error or a Season 16 change which slipped out early. The devs have not commented publicly on the changes as of the publication of this article.

ImperialHal explains biggest mistake Horizon mains keep making in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains biggest mistake Horizon mains keep making in Apex Legends TSM / RespawnApex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has given Horizon mains some advice, saying that many players use her Gravity Lift tactical in the wrong situations during encounters. ImperialHal is no stranger to giving opinions on current meta weapons or characters on stream to those who watch him play Apex Legends. A recent clip of Hal shows the Apex Legends pro giving advice surrounding one of the game’s most popular Legends, Horizon. Specifically, he mentions that players shouldn’t be so aggressive with Horizon’s tactical ability and instead use it more strategically after a fight is underway. ImperialHal’s advice for Horizon mains The clip begins with a member of Hal’s chat asking for tips for playing the space-fairing Attack Legend and the streamer quickly begins talking about his past experience playing the character. “It just depends. I always say never initiate because…my worst mistake I always [made] on Horizon was I would always start a fight with her [tactical] instead of using it after the initial contact.” Hal goes on to explain that using Horizon’s Gravity Lift tactical naturally depends on the situation, but using it to start a fight rarely leads to a good outcome. While her tactical is incredibly useful for positioning and mobility, the streamer explains using it at the start of a fight draws too much attention and that players will likely “just get focused so hard out of the air.” It’s true that using Horizon’s tactical makes players stand out due to the loud noise and visual effects it generates, which will almost certainly draw enemy attention in a fight. That means using Horizon’s tactical to reposition, aid teammates, or retreat from a fight is likely going to be the better option in most encounters. Additionally, combining Horizon’s personal lift with her Black Hole Ultimate can certainly throw enemy players for a loop. While Horizon is strong enough that some pros even want her removed entirely, Hal makes it clear that it certainly takes skill to use Horizon’s unique kit effectively.

ImperialHal believes “insane” Ash spells disaster for Octane in Apex Legends – Dexerto
ImperialHal believes “insane” Ash spells disaster for Octane in Apex Legends Twitch: ImperialHal/RespawnTSM’s Apex Legends star Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Ash’s arrival in Season 11 is bad news for Octane as the Titanfall character is likely to replace the adrenaline junkie. After months of speculation and teasers, Titanfall’s villainous Ash was finally confirmed as the newest character coming to Apex Legends as a part of the Season 11 update. While Respawn hasn’t confirmed her full kit and abilities at the time of writing, there have been some indications of what she’ll be able to do. The launch trailer for the new season showed her using a stun-like ability as well as ripping open a portal. Previously, some players believed that Ash’s arrival would spell bad news for Wraith and knock her popularity down a notch or two, but for ImperialHal, he thinks it could actually affect Octane. During his October 21 stream, the Team Solomid star was given some supposed deeper insight into the character’s abilities compared to what Respawn has shown. It didn’t take all that long for him to give some early impressions and touch on how she could shake up the game’s competitive meta, especially when it comes to the RevTane phenomenon. “I’m going to tell you right now chat,” Hal said to his viewers as he waited for a match to start, “this character is going to replace Octane, there is no way this character does not get played, I can promise you that.” After finishing up with another game, the TSM star returned to talking about Season 11 and how things could be set to change. Again, he touched on Ash, suggesting that the character is “going to be insane” when she arrives with the new update. As we’ve seen in previous seasons, Apex players are quick to adopt the new legend, but it takes a few weeks before their place in the meta is truly decided. So, we’ll have to wait and see if Hal called it right.

ImperialHal claims Apex Legends would be “unplayable” without Seer’s scan meta – Dexerto
ImperialHal claims Apex Legends would be “unplayable” without Seer’s scan meta TSM/RespawnApex Legends star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Apex Legends would be “unplayable” if the scan meta didn’t exist, given all the audio issues currently plaguing the game. There have been plenty of divisive metas in Apex Legends over the years, but the conversation around the scan meta has never gone away – even if the legends aren’t as strong as they once were. Upon release, Seer caused frustration in the Apex Legends fanbase, with fans demanding an immediate nerf. That didn’t happen, but he has been balanced out over the last few seasons. The scan meta has made a bit of a return in Season 16, especially as Catalyst has become a crutch pick for some pro squads. While it remains divisive, ImperialHal believes the game would be “unplayable” without it. ImperialHal says Apex Legends would be “unplayable” without scan meta The TSM star feels that way because of the number of audio issues that are currently plaguing the battle royale, as teams are getting jumped on by silent enemies. “It’s actually funny how bad the game is when you don’t have Seer because of the audio,” Hal said during a recent stream. “Actually, I think this game would literally be unplayable without Seer being a thing and no audio. You’re practically forced to play a scan character so you have actual information because the audio is just not there.” Timestamp of 0:40 The pick rates of some scan characters – Seer, Bloodhound, and Valkyrie being the main three – have actually dropped in more casual play by a fair margin. All three are still being used quite a bit in pro competition, and even if Respawn does address the audio issues, they’d likely still get some love. The overall scan meta would just take a slight backseat until players need it again.

ImperialHal believes Apex Legends star is wasting his career on Sentinels – Dexerto
ImperialHal believes Apex Legends star is wasting his career on Sentinels Joe Brady/ ALGSIn a recent livestream Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen talked about the current Apex Legends esports rostermania for the 2024 season and how one player is wasting his career on Sentinels. Multiple ALGS teams are currently in flux as Apex Legends esports is in the midst of rostermania. Squads are trying out new lineups, and multiple organizations are exiting the esport as we march closer to Pro League’s start in January. In a recent livestream, ImperialHal talked about one specific team during rostermania, Sentinels. The TSM IGL was queued up with Nicholas ‘Sikezz’ Odom and Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An as the conversation shifted to Sentinels and their young star, Israel ‘Koyful’ Lawrence. Sikezz said Koyful might be the most talented controller player the esport had ever seen in terms of raw skill. ImperialHal then took the opportunity to call out Sentinels for potentially wasting Koyful’s talent on their current roster. “Let’s think about it, Koy is that good right? Theoretically let’s say Koy is this good, like he’s literally miles above whoever mechanically. But then you have a teammate that literally dropped zero kills in a winner’s bracket,” the TSM player said. ImperialHal calls out Sentinels for potentially wasting Apex talent Sentinels picked up Koyful on July 18, right before the 2023 ALGS Championship. The 17-year-old controller player has already bounced around a few teams in ALGS, BLVKHVND and Dudes Night out, and is considered a top talent in the esport. Sentinels, with Koyful, placed 27th at ALGS World Championship. However, the community, and now ImperialHal, called out Sentinels’ IGL Cole ‘Rkn’ Prommel for his poor performance at the tournament. In the Bracket stage of the event, Rkn only recorded one kill across the loser’s and winner’s first-round brackets. Sentinels were eliminated from the event in the first winner’s bracket. “If I was Koyful right, and I’m like grinding my ass off… I’m starting my career, and my teammate can’t even get a kill. He just doesn’t know better, obviously,” ImperialHal said. iiTzTimmy said that he agreed with Hal’s points and that it’s a “shame” that it seems like Koyful’s teammates aren’t putting in as much work as he is to be the best player possible for his squad. The streamer later went on to say that some players have full control of their team and won’t ever bench themselves, even if they start to underperform. Sentinels currently have a full roster and have not been a part of any transfer rumors; however, the off-season still has a few months to go, and things could change as Pro League competition draws closer.

ImperialHal begs Apex Legends devs to finally fix “RNG” glitch after months of silence – Dexerto
ImperialHal begs Apex Legends devs to finally fix “RNG” glitch after months of silence Respawn / TSMPhillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen is begging Respawn to finally fix an “RNG” glitch in Apex Legends that is causing ultimate abilities to disappear, claiming teams are “getting robbed” because of it. ImperialHal is no stranger to voicing his opinion on issues with Apex Legends. In November 2021, he criticized the new Storm Point map and vented his frustration about cheaters ruining ranked play and tournaments. A month earlier, he described the ALGS points system as “horrendous” and revealed fears about the newest legend, Ash, being overpowered. Now, he’s turned his attention to a glitch that has been causing players’ ultimate abilities to disappear for a while now. He described it as adding an unwanted element of “RNG” and begged the developers to finally fix it. “We play an esport where it’s practically RNG whether or not your ultimate ability disappears,” said ImperialHal. “[It affects] characters ranging from Gibby, Caustic, Wraith, etc. When will this sh*t be fixed? “Talented teams are getting robbed because of these things. [They] have been in the game for a while now. Imagine me competing for a possible 1 million dollars, a.k.a life-changing money, and sh*t like this happens. It shouldn’t be a thing.” He included a video in his post to demonstrate his point. It shows a Wraith player using the Dimensional Rift ultimate in the middle of an important fight, only to see it suddenly disappear at a crucial moment. imagine me competing for a possible 1 Million dollars aka life changing money and shit like this happens, shouldn’t be a thing……. — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) December 5, 2021 It’s not the first time ImperialHal has talked about the glitch. He mentioned it once before in October 2021 and told the developers: “This needs to be figured out.” However, it’s remained in the game ever since. The scenario ImperialHal described hasn’t happened yet. But the fact it’s a possibility concerns him, and since it’s been liked almost 4,000 times, it seems like many others agree.

ImperialHal bashes “terrible” Revenant Reborn ahead of Apex Legends Season 18 – Dexerto
ImperialHal bashes “terrible” Revenant Reborn ahead of Apex Legends Season 18 TSM/RespawnTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Revenant Reborn will actually be “worse” for the Apex Legends character and that it’ll be “terrible” to use in competitive play. Prior to the start of Apex Legends Season 17, leakers and dataminers started talking about Revenant Reborn as if Respawn were testing a brand-new character to go up against the pre-existing Revenant. Fast forward to Season 18 and we know now that Revenant Reborn is a character overhaul. The terrifying simulacrum will no longer have his team-focused Death Totem ultimate, but, instead has an ultimate that allows players to not take damage for a brief period. Though, it comes with an increased hitbox. Additionally, Rev Reborn will be able to ‘leap’ toward enemies and have a bit of a scan on nearby foes with low health. These changes have sparked plenty of excitement from players, but ImperialHal isn’t quite sold. ImperialHal believes Revenant Reborn will be “worse” than before The TSM IGL touched on the changes shortly after they were revealed on August 2 after fans on Twitch asked if he could see it having an impact on competitive play. “I could care less about that character. If it’s not a comp character, I don’t give a f*ck. It will not be a comp character, that character is straight up you think you’re Aceu in 1v3 pubs character,” he said, suggesting it would be “fun” for casual matches but not in Ranked or ALGS play. “The Rev ult is a solo thing now, not a team thing right? It’s kind of like a nerf in a way. I haven’t really looked at it,” Hal added. “Basically, you’re a solo Rev ult’ing with extra shields. That character is even worse, to be honest. It’s only good for pubs and stuff.” Hal continued noting that Revenant previously got some joy in competitive play but will now be “terrible” with the Revenant Reborn changes. “It would be OP as f*ck if they had the whole team with extra shields. Like, if you Rev ult’d and had shields and he could bounce up on walls and stuff, then there’s a discussion,” he concluded. Once the new season starts, the character will shoot up in terms of pick rate as everyone rushes to test it, but Hal won’t be the first to do so.

ImperialHal explains why Apex Legends Season 14 will be the most “broken” yet – Dexerto
ImperialHal explains why Apex Legends Season 14 will be the most “broken” yet YouTube: TSM Apex / Respawn EntertainmentTSM pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen thinks Apex Legends Season 14 is going to be “broken” — but in a good way. The CEO of Apex has long called for Respawn to give everyone easy access to all things strong in the battle royale, and that’s being answered. Apex Legends Season 14 releases on August 9, marking a big wave of new content and changes. Included in the update plenty of weapon changes and the debut of a new Legend, Vantage, which will evolve the game’s meta. It’s the former that’s got ImperialHal excited. The Rampage and Bocek are being put into the care package. The Volt and the G7 Scout are back on ground loot. So too the Wingman and C.A.R. SMG out of the replicator. The CEO of Apex thinks it’s broken, but in a good way: “It seems like the next season is turning into like what I kind of wanted in Apex — where everything is kind of broken.” “They’re putting so many guns on the ground that are kind of OP.” It’s not just what’s being returned to ground loot. It’s what Respawn are putting away too: “they’re putting the dog sh*t ones in the package…who the f**ck is going to craft an RE-45?” There are some changes Hal isn’t entirely sold on. Wingman’s ammo change to Sniper is controversial because “who the f**ck is going to pick up Sniper Ammo just for a Wingman, when they can just use a Charge Rifle?” The Skullpiercer hop-up might tip the scales on that, but the jury’s out. All in all though, it’s the update ImperialHal has been long calling for, and he can’t wait to see it in action. “I feel Apex would be insanely fun if everything was broken like it used to be, instead of everything being nerfed. It seems Apex is going that direction next season from all the sh*t I saw.”

ImperialHal says Apex Legends pros are “overexaggerating” crashes & ALGS shouldn’t postpone – Dexerto
ImperialHal says Apex Legends pros are “overexaggerating” crashes & ALGS shouldn’t postpone Respawn/TSMTSM star Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen believes Apex Legends pros need to “deal with” the server crashes plaguing ALGS play as it makes no sense to delay or postpone games. With many of the ALGS matches being played online, Apex Legends pros have always been quite wary of server issues causing them problems in-game. In the last few days, those concerns have become reality, with games being plagued by crashes and lagging, which has forced teams to lose high-kill games and knocked them out of positions of strength on the map. As a result, a number of pros have hit out at the state of things. Some have labeled the situation as a “joke”, while others have suggested that play needs to be delayed until Respawn figures things out. Though, ImperialHal believes that they just need to crack on and play. ImperialHal explains why ALGS postponement would be “stupid” despite crashes The TSM star, whose squad won the last ALGS LAN in London, gave his thoughts on the problems during his March 20 stream, urging players to just keep playing. “The crashes in ALGS is the most there’s ever been, but I also think, this is definitely a hot take, but I think people are overexaggerating because they don’t seem to understand the whole picture of them possibly having to delay ALGS in terms of money,” Hal said. “Obviously, we have to deal with the crashes, but it’s still doable. Instead of delaying it and losing money, maybe people having orgs pull out or them having to move a venue and dates etc, there’s a lot more downsides I think to having to delay it. “It is what it is. Obviously, it shouldn’t be happening but I don’t think people think about the whole picture of downsides of them having to postpone it and delay it.” Hal further noted that he believes it would be “stupid” for EA and Respawn to have to delay or rework their schedule, and urged fellow pros to think about things rationally. As it stands, neither EA or Respawn have weighed in on a possible postponement and Split 2 is still slated to continue with matches come March 26.

ImperialHal & other Apex Legend pros want the “unfun” Charge Rifle changed – Dexerto
ImperialHal & other Apex Legend pros want the “unfun” Charge Rifle changed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen agrees with FURIA’s Nelson ‘Xera’ Medina that Apex Legends’ Charge Rifle needs to be changed. There have been plenty of divisive weapons in Apex Legends’ long history, but the conversation around the Charge Rifle has been going strong since its addition to the game in 2019. The fundamental and unique aspect of the Charge Rifle is the fact that it has no bullet drop despite being a sniper rifle, this means that your effective range is, in theory, infinite. This can lead to situations where you are pinned down by a Charge Rifle sniper with no real way to fight back because as soon as there is a line of sight you will start getting burned by its laser. While there have historically been more oppressive weapons in the game, some argue that none offer so much reward for so little risk. TSM’s ImperialHal seems to agree with this sentiment, as he mocked the weapon in an exchange with FURIA’s Xera. Hal agrees with Xera: “Charge Rifle needs to go into the care package” The TSM star liked Xera’s April 11 Tweet that reads: “Realm has only made me realize more how much the charge rifle needs to go into the care package. The gun is so ridiculously unfun and way too rewarding for how low skill it is.” Hal quickly replied: “You don’t like getting shot from 200 meters away while also having to calculate a 3v3? Just don’t get shot lol.” He also noted that he’ll rush into fights, even at a disadvantage, if there is a Charge Rifle in the area targeting him and his squad. Some players see no issue with it, and others call it a crutch. At the end of the day, it’s a weapon that has its quirks like many others found in Apex Legends. Charge Rifle humorously found itself in the spotlight earlier this year when a battle pass skin for the weapon was mocked for looking pretty spicy. We’ll have to wait and see if Respawn addresses the pros’ concerns in the future.

ImperialHal and Snip3down clash over Apex Legends devs ignoring pro player feedback – Dexerto
ImperialHal and Snip3down clash over Apex Legends devs ignoring pro player feedback Two of Apex Legends biggest names, TSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen and FaZe Clan’s Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona, have butted heads on social media over changes to meta ahead of the 2023 ALGS Championship. With the biggest tournament of the Apex esports calendar fast approaching, Season 18 launched on August 8 with significant shifts to the meta, including an entirely reworked Revenant. However, the change that has caught the eye of top pro players relates to survey beacons, and where they spawn. In competitive play, teams choose a POI (point of interest) to land at, and repeat it every game, to improve consistency in the otherwise random arena of a battle royale. As of Season 18 though, all POIs now have an equal chance of receiving a Ring Console, Survey Beacon, or Crafting station, as opposed to more predictable spawns for these items previously. This caused frustration for ImperialHal, who called it a “mega nerf” to his team so close to a major event. ImperialHal vs Snip3down On August 16, Hal revealed he had spoken to a developer before the season launch, and advised them not to change the spawn rate of beacons. “Had a call with 1 on 1 dev to discuss changes to Apex comp and I was asked if they should change the % on beacon for POIs and told them def not then prob [the] day after they changed it,” the TSM star said. However, Snip3down disagreed, arguing that it was a positive change for competitive play, and that no team is entitled to a consistent survey beacon spawn at their POI of choice. “There is no reason you should get 90+% beacon spawn rate and some of the best loot/zone POI’s in the game,” he argued, and said that this applied to all teams, not just TSM. The debate devolved into a bit of a mudslinging from here, as Hal said his team simply gets the best POI because others, like Snip3down’s team, aren’t capable of fighting them for it. Snip3down, a former teammate of Hal’s on TSM, mocked him for “crying” about devs not listening to him, and argued that the beacon change turned an “RNG factor into an even playing field for all.” However, Snip3down did agree that he no longer finds it valuable to discuss his issues with developers, as years of doing so have led to little if any impact: “Everyone can have an opinion, no one is entitled to the results of it. I’d be just as fine if the change never happened.” The ALGS Championship 2023 will be held in Birmingham, UK, starting September 6. TSM and FaZe Clan have both locked in their spots for the event, and both will certainly view themselves as contenders for the top prize, although TSM will be favored overall, after their impressive 2nd-place finish at the Split 2 playoffs.

ImperialHal agrees Apex Legends “most boring” meta needs a shake up – Dexerto
ImperialHal agrees Apex Legends “most boring” meta needs a shake up Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro ImperialHal agreed with community members that the battle royale’s meta desperately needs a shakeup. TSM re-established itself as the number-one team in the world after winning the 2023 ALGS Championship. The tournament was also monumental in ALGS history as DarkZero’s Zer0 and TSM’s ImperialHal went head-to-head to decide an age-old debate over who is the best player ever. Hal led all Champs players with a 2.14 KD and put up an all-time 4.14 KD performance during the Finals. A title performance propelled the TSM legend to the highest-earning Apex Legends player of all time, and both teammates Reps and Verhulst rank right behind in second and third. However, the ALGS exposed a few glaring weapon and legend balancing issues. ImperialHal slams Apex Legends character meta While some teams threw in an odd Bloodhound, Fuse, or Gibraltar at the 2023 ALGS Championship, three Legends ranked miles ahead. A whopping 42% of picks consist of Bangalore, Catalyst and Horizon. And even when another Legend is in the mix, two out of three of these characters are almost always in the team. According to Apex Legends Status, the R-99 was the most used gun at the tournament, with the runner-up not even coming close. Three of the top five most-picked guns were SMGs and exposed a major weapon disparity compared to Split 2. Apex Legends pro player Effect claimed: “Fu*k this character meta, most boring ever.” ImperialHal responded: “I agree.” Despite that, community members felt differently than the pros. One player responded: “This has been the best meta in a long time.” A second user added: “Post seer, this is the best meta the game has had in a long time.” Seer dominated Apex’s meta until massive nerfs to all three abilities knocked the Legend out of contention, and some fans believe it resulted in a more watchable product. A third commenter wrote: “It’s much more exciting to watch than Seer. That was boring af to spectate.” It remains to be seen if Respawn plans to change the battle royale’s current weapon or legend meta.

Images of all 10 unreleased Apex Legends characters leaked [UPDATED] – Dexerto
Images of all 10 unreleased Apex Legends characters leaked [UPDATED] A recent Apex Legends leaks offered the first look at some of the future Legends that may be joining the game soon, and now there are much clearer images of each one made available. UPDATE – March 14 Reddit user ‘FrozenFroh’ has taken the time to upscale and edit the leaked datamined game files containing images and information about upcoming Legends. Here is the high resolution image, along the user’s own speculation as to how these Legends may work once added. Original Story Apex Legends fans might finally be able to put faces to the names of future Legends that were leaked in February after a list of player cards was discovered including eight new names alongside the Legends currently in the game. Of those, only two – Octane and Wattson – had any further details revealed until a recent leak showed the first images of five additional Legends. Now, however, a clearer look at all of the unreleased Legends – a total of 10, including the ones already known about – is available thanks to leaker @Shrugtal. Sargent179 also created a concept of the Legend select screen using these leaked images to offer a look at how they could appear in-game. It’s currently unclear what the release schedule might look like for new Legends in Apex. Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that each Season – of which there will be four in 2019 – will include new Legends, but how many may release in each remains unknown. With how much information has been leaked about Octane compared to the other Legends, it seems likely that he will feature in Season One, which is expected to kick off on March 12 – although again, Respawn have yet to officially confirm this. With so many Legends apparently already in development, however, it seems increasingly possible that each Season could introduce two or even three new Legends. Behind Octane, Wattson appears closest to a potential release, with details such as abilities also leaked. As with all leaks, it’s possible that the information could be inaccurate, or that Respawn could change direction between now and the actual releases. With Season One expected to kick off on March 12, however, it’s likely that fans will soon have a much clearer picture of what new content to expect over the next three months at least.

Images of 19 new Apex Legends items leaked: Plasma Turret, Spider, more – Dexerto
Images of 19 new Apex Legends items leaked: Plasma Turret, Spider, more The latest information to be datamined in Apex Legends gives a first look at an assortment of potential upcoming content, from weapons and equipment to mysterious new items, it seems as though a huge update is coming in the very near future. Datamined content and leaks are nothing new to the Apex Legends community, however, a brand new batch of information uncovered on November 11 might be one of the biggest to date. While potential Legends have been the focus in a number of recent leaks, recently uncovered files have shown a plethora of upcoming weapons, equipment, and so much more. Arguably the standout item from the latest batch of leaked content is the spider item. Without any context, there’s no telling just how this creature model might work its way into the game but with six prongs emerging from the item, it could be used to deal damage to opposing players. As various other recent leaks have indicated, spiders could be used from a distance to spit out toxic mist. Audio files that were made public in July might finally see the light of day in Apex Legends if this model is soon implemented in some capacity. This is not the first time that spiders have been linked with Apex Legends.600 Also uncovered in the datamine was the model for a ‘proximity detonator.’ An explosive that can be planted anywhere on the map and remotely detonated by the touch of a button, C4 is often a staple in FPS games and could be making its way to Apex Legends in the very near future. Considering how fast-paced the battle royale title can be, with highly mobile Legends such as Octane, the remote explosive would have to pack quite a punch to prove effective. With C4 emblazoned across this new item, expect explosives all around the map if these make it into the game.600 Additionally, a new folder name shed light on a ‘plasma turret’ that might be introduced down the line. While flamethrowers and remote turrets were leaked in March of 2019, this new item could be the first instance of a player-controlled turret in Apex Legends. Perhaps this item could accompany a new Legend entirely, or find itself in an update to the World’s Edge map. It’s safe to say that a fast-firing turret could prove devastating in the battle royale title. While file names shouldn’t be taken as gospel, this is could be a good indication of what’s to come in Apex Legends600 One of the most intriguing aspects of the new reveal was the abundance of unique melee weapons on display. From a bolo sword to a screwdriver specifically for Octane, it appears as though a future update will implement a wide array of melee-centric items. There’s no telling whether these newly leaked weapons will be purchasable Heirlooms or if they will be unlocked through various other means but it will certainly be interesting to see new close-range items in combat. Here’s a full breakdown of everything featured in the latest datamine. DATA KNIFE LOOT COMPASS BOLO SWORD SCREWDRIVER SENTRY SHIELD CABER SHOT (THROWN) COMBAT KNIFE DRONE FRAG TABLET MINI FIRETEAM DROP POD PROJECTILE ROCKET LAUNCHER DRONE ATTACK 600 WORKER DRONE PILOT HELMET GRUNT HELMET GRENADE INDICATOR / FRAG SENTRY While there’s no telling when some of these weapons and items might find their way into the game, do take these datamined files with a grain of salt. There’s no guarantee that every single image on display will eventuate into a new piece of content in-game. With the frequency of leaks from the avid Apex Legends community however, there’s a good chance we see more information on some of these items in the very near future.

Image of possible next Apex Legends Heirloom set leaked – Dexerto
Image of possible next Apex Legends Heirloom set leaked The next Heirloom Set to be released in Apex Legends may have already been leaked by data-miners, and it could be for the Pathfinder Legend. Heirlooms are sets of cosmetics in Apex Legends that contain three items: an Intro Quip, Banner Pose, and Melee Weapon Skin. They are extremely difficult and costly to obtain, making them the rarest cosmetics in the game, and are currently only available for three Legends – Wraith, Bloodhound, and Lifeline. However, according to prominent Apex data-miner ‘Shrugtal,’ a fourth set could soon be on its way, and it would be for the Pathfinder. Read More: Apex Legends v3.1 patch notes – An image he dug up from the game files in the back-end show the Heirloom to be a pair of brightly-colored boxing gloves that feature a smiley face and the word “POW!” Pathfinder Heirloom next? #ApexLegends pic.twitter.com/fJKh2dirvv — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) November 5, 2019 If this leak is legitimate, then there are several signs that point to it indeed being for the Pathfinder. For one, the overall design of the melee skin is very robotic, which would match the Legend since it itself is a robot. Secondly, the smiley face located on the back of the hands is very similar to the one that’s usually shown on the Pathfinder’s chest display, and the word “POW!” falls in line with its usually enthusiastic and upbeat style of dialogue. When would Pathfinder’s Heirloom set get released? There is no definitive information available yet about the possible release date for this Heirloom, but we can look back at the release of the past two sets to try and figure out when the next one would become available The Bloodhound’s Heirloom was released on August 13, at the start of the Iron Crown event, while Lifeline’s was released nearly two months later on October 15, which was the first day of the Fight or Fright event. Read More: How to play Duos in Apex Legends – If this two month gap pattern follows, then Pathfinder’s set would become available sometime around December 13-15, which actually makes a lot of sense since the game’s winter event is rumored to be kicking off around that time and the two previous Heirlooms mentioned above were both released on the first day of their respective events. Oh yeah and the Winter event badge but we already know that’s happening from the dialogue entries I leaked a while ago pic.twitter.com/Z0dR0vXOHo — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) November 5, 2019 While all of this may be very exciting for those who play Pathfinder as their main Legend or are fans of collecting rare cosmetic items, it’s important to keep in mind that all of this information is based on a leak and speculation, so none of it will be official until Respawn Entertainment and EA themselves announce it. That said, we will continue to monitor for more details about this Heirloom set as we move closer to the winter season, and we will bring you the latest info as soon as it becomes available.

iiTzTimmy’s dad goes viral with “adorable” meme at ALGS Championships – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy’s dad goes viral with “adorable” meme at ALGS Championships ALGS / EsportsPopular streamer iiTzTimmy is known as a bit of a memer himself, however, this time he was memed by his own dad, who held up a sign for him on the ALGS Championship broadcast, going viral. iiTzTimmy dramatically qualified for the Apex’s world championships, which happens to be his first major Apex Legends tournament, after his team ‘The Dojo’ shocked everyone by winning the Last Chance Qualifier event. Speaking to Dexerto at their bootcamp in London, Timmy admitted he even surprised himself by qualifying through the NA LCQ, although he still has high expectations for this team at the ALGS Championship 2023. The Dojo arrived in the UK as they took to the stage on September 6, where they began their ALGS tournament journey to compete at the $2 million Championship finals against 39 opposing teams. iiTzTimmy’s family turned out in style to support him as various members of his family made the long trip over from America to the UK to cheer him on. iiTzTimmy’s dad holds up “adorable” meme sign at ALGS Championships During Apex Legends’ mainstream as the tournament was in full swing, the camera pans towards iiTzTimmy’s dad who can be seen holding a large sign of a classic meme that states: “Are ya winning, son?” A photo of him with the sign has since stormed the internet gaining thousands of likes, leading to fans have flooding the comment section praising how “adorable” and “supportive” his dad is. “iiTzTimmy’s dad: Esports unexpected heart-stealer. iiTzTimmy wowed by Apex Legends’ “insane” Revenant rework – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy wowed by Apex Legends’ “insane” Revenant rework Respawn Entertainment / Instagram: iitztimmyApex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment brought pro player and streamer iiTzTimmy on to showcase Revenant’s upcoming rework. Developer Respawn Entertainment has officially unveiled the first look at Revenant Reborn, which is a complete rework for the stealthy Assault Legend. This is a complete first for the team at Respawn, as many characters have received tweaks and changes to their ability sets here and there, Revenant has essentially been reworked from the ground up. Now, the dev team has brought on pro Apex Legends player and streamer iiTzTimmy to share the first look at Revenant’s new ability set in action, and the content creator was wowed by the character’s potential. iiTzTimmy and more react to Apex Legends Revenant rework The official Apex Legends Twitter account tweeted out a 2-minute video that featured the 100T player and Game Designer Evan Funnell going over the new changes. Timmy opened the video by saying the Revenant rework looked “insane” and that “movement techies” would enjoy his expanded kit. For those who haven’t seen Revenant’s new kit, we have a handy breakdown of all his new abilities here. The important thing to note is his revamped passive, called Assassin’s Instinct, lets him climb on walls for much longer and much farther than before. His passive also lets him see enemies who are low health and mark the ones he gets to low health himself. His new Tactical is called Shadow Pounce, and it lets Revenant unleash a huge lunge that can transition into a wall climb. iiTzTimmy wasn’t the only content creator who reacted to Rev’s new kit, with players like TimProVision and 100 Thieves’ NiceWigg reacting on Twitter. “He’s going to be so good,” said TimProVision, while the 100T player said the new Rev looked “super fun now” and that he’d be the “SOLO Q ranked pick 10/10.” With movement-based Legends being favorites among the community, Revenant very well could see a huge surge in pick rate once his rework is fully implemented. Regardless, it seems many fans are excited about what the new and improved robotic assassin can do.

iiTzTimmy worried Apex Legends’ new Nemesis AR is “way too strong” – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy worried Apex Legends’ new Nemesis AR is “way too strong” YT: iiTzTimmy / Respawn100 Thieves’ Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has expressed concern that Apex Legends Season 16’s new assault rifle – the burst fire Nemesis – will drop far “too strong”. Apex Legends Season 16, despite skipping a Legend for the first time in the battle royale’s history, promises to constitute a huge shake up. A brand new Legend class and perk system will be introduced, categorizing all the game’s characters as one of Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Support or Controller. There’ll also be a new weapon in the form of the Nemesis assault rifle – a burst-fire charge weapon to combat the dominance of the R-301, which will also receive a hefty nerf. Now, ahead of Season 16’s start, 100 Thieves’ iiTzTimmy has expressed concern it will drop overpowered. iiTzTimmy worried Season 16’s Nemesis AR is “OP” After working his way through the new Legend classes, Timmy got his hands on the Nemesis AR and played a few matches of Apex’s new TDM mode. “Woah,” he said, after just a few bursts in the firing range. “Okay well this is just significantly better than the Hemlok. This gun seems a little bit strong. Just a little bit.” He then dropped into some TDM, which led him to precisely the same conclusion: “Dude this gun is way too strong. Oh my god this gun is way too strong. Dude how is this gun fair?… This meta’s gonna be so crazy.” Timestamp: 3:47 Respawn have already said they’re dropping the Nemesis “hot” to try and combat the well established dominance of ARs like the R-301 and Flatline but, in Timmy’s opinion, it could just cross the line from strong into “OP”. Only time will tell whether the Nemesis is indeed too powerful in Apex Legends, but we’re not far from finding out; Season 16 is set to drop on Tuesday 14 February.

iiTzTimmy smashes Apex Legends damage world record – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy smashes Apex Legends damage world record Twitch: iitztimmy/Respawn EntertainmentTwitch Streamer Timmy “iiTzTimmy” An has broken the Apex Legends damage record, reaching a number no one thought was possible. As the time-to-kill is a lot slower in Battle Royale titles compared to standard FPS games, the amount of damage you pump out is often just as important as the number of kills you pick up. This is particularly true in Apex Legends where draining player’s shields and resources in a gunfight can be the difference between life and death. For the average Apex player, reaching over 2,000 damage in a match is a big achievement and will even reward you with an in-game badge. However, as with any game, there are always players who take it to another level that no one thought was possible. Well, iiTzTimmy has done exactly that, smashing the Apex Legends damage record on stream. iiTzTimmy sets new Apex damage record During his February 17 stream, iiTzTimmy managed to break the Apex Legends damage record, reaching a total of 9069 damage. Not only that, the streamer picked up 24 kills and of course, secured the victory for his squad. Despite beating the record, Timmy was convinced the 10,000 damage total was possible during the game and even said that if he played a little better, he would have reached it. If anything, this just shows that Timmy can do even better and maybe even break his own world record in the future. “I could have gotten the 10k man I really could of, I could have gotten the 10k this game I’m f***ing trolling… I mean 9k I guess.” It’s absolutely insane that a single player has managed to rack up over 9,000 damage in just one Apex match. There are only so many players in a game, so hitting those numbers is not only dependant on your skill but a lot of luck. It’s great to hear that Timmy thinks he can hit the 10,000 damage mark at some point in the future, so make sure you keep an eye on his streams. That is unless someone else swoops in to break the record, but by the looks of it, that’s very unlikely.

iiTzTimmy shows why Fuse is the most annoying character in Apex Legends – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy shows why Fuse is the most annoying character in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentiiTzTimmy is well-renowned for his skill in Apex Legends and while he’s usually more of a Pathfinder guy, this time around he took Fuse into the Ranked battlegrounds to show off just how annoying the character can be when played at the highest level. Fuse has never dominated the Apex Legends pick rates but he’s always had a fair share of dedicated fans who can’t get enough of the game’s signature pyromaniac. It turns out that iiTzTimmy is among the rank of Fuse enjoyers and in his last outing with the character he put on an absolute clinic, showing off the true potential of a Legend that never seems to move the needle too much for the bigger player base. iitzTimmy’s gameplay proves how annoying Fuse can be in the right hands In the first minute of a July 14 video on Timmy’s channel, he wasted no time getting into the mix of a ranked game. It didn’t take long for things to get wild as a team attempts to move in his team’s territory and a fight quickly broke out. After a bit of damage trading the other squad tried to disengage but the Apex pro didn’t let them get away so easily. Even after the enemies scurry inside, his endless spam of nades forces them out into the open and then also makes them dance carefully when they’re outside as he continues to launch them threw a window and create an unmatched level of chaos. From start to finish, Timmy alone launched seven grenades in about twenty seconds while his teammates kept the pressure high. While this would be frustrating to experience from any Legend, Fuse’s unique ability to hold more grenades and them out faster only enhanced the headache. This strategy isn’t new for the Explosives Enthusiast, but when paired up with someone who is as polished as Timmy, it leaves no room for mercy for players who are just trying to make their way up the ladder.

iiTzTimmy settles Apex Legends Peacekeeper vs Mastiff debate with simple tip – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy settles Apex Legends Peacekeeper vs Mastiff debate with simple tip Twitch: iitzTimmy/RespawnApex Legends Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ Ann has weighed in on the Peacekeeper vs Mastiff debate, explaining when you should change up your shotgun of choice. With the launch of Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance, Respawn Entertainment gave Shotguns a bit of love with the long-awaited introduction of Mad Maggie. While shotguns have always been a powerful weapon type in the battle royale, Maggie’s speed boost while holding one has prompted more players to give them a whirl – perhaps even running two shotguns at once, rather than an SMG or rifle. That has, naturally, opened the door on the age-old Mastiff vs Peacekeeper debate, with players picking their side and sticking to it. However, iiTzTimmy pointed out that each have their own advantages at different times. During his February 19 stream, the Apex Legends star was diving into games alongside random trios when he landed on Storm Point and started rocking a Peacekeeper over the Mastiff. One fan jokingly asked why he didn’t go for the Mozambique, before another asked why he’d run the Peacekeeper rather than the Mastiff, especially if he was more consistent with the latter. “If you’re more consistent with the Mastiff, why choose PK? Because PK does more damage, right,” Timmy noted. “So, if you’re hitting every shot with the PK, then you should use the PK. But, if you’re going to miss and you’re having a bad day, you should just use a Mastiff. I’m playing pretty ok, so why not use (the PK).” It may seem to be a pretty simple answer, but the difference in charging the Peacekeeper for more damage can be a hindrance if you’re feeling off and just want to hit consistent shots. Most players are still going to run what they prefer, but maybe some will take Timmy’s advice and change things up on a game-by-game basis.

iiTzTimmy sets high expectations at ALGS Championship as his first major Apex Legends tournament – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy sets high expectations at ALGS Championship as his first major Apex Legends tournament Red BullTwitch streamer Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An will soon take to the stage with ‘The Dojo’ to compete at the biggest tournament of his life. After the team shocked everyone, including themselves, at the LCQ, Timmy now has high expectations for his squad at ALGS Championship 2023. When Timmy announced his return to compete at the top level of Apex Legends earlier this year, the anticipation was mixed with palpable skepticism. No one doubted his mechanical skill, but at the highest level, leadership and coordination of the squad are paramount. TSM’s ImperialHal specifically questioned the team’s lack of an experienced IGL, but had to later eat his words when The Dojo, featuring Timmy, Tyler ‘Dezingful’ Gardner, and Alexander ‘Enemy’ Rodriguez, made it all the way through the Last Chance Qualifier, and in impressive fashion. Speaking to Dexerto during their bootcamp in London, Timmy admitted that he also had some doubts about the team’s chances at the LCQ. “I will not lie, I did expect us to do well, and get to the finals, but it was really up in the air if we would actually win the tournament, because it was the first time that we had played such a big and competitive tournament together. “I was personally shocked, and I know the boys were very happy as well, because we could see the emotions when we won. Everybody was very teary.” But now attention must turn to an even bigger and more competitive tournament for The Dojo. The ALGS Championship features the 40 best teams from around the world, descending on Birmingham to challenge for a share of the $2 million prize pool. External expectations for the team may be tempered, but after their blazing run at the LCQ, iiTzTimmy and his teammates are setting a lofty goal. “I think our team will make finals,” Timmy said, “and not only that, I expect at least a top-ten finish from us. “I do want to say that the teams who have been playing the last two or three LANs are probably more ‘ideal’ to win, because obviously they’ve been in these situations before, nothing’s really new to them. They just need to perform on the day. For us, we haven’t been on stage for a while.” Timmy believes that in the latter stages, it will come down to whether the mistakes they have been making in scrims will happen again or if they will simply “go nuclear.” In scrims, however, the team has been encouraged by their performances, placing well and learning from their mistakes. Becoming an IGL The Dojo arrived in London on August 31 and have been bootcamping at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere, which features top-end PC hardware, and creator rooms for the players to stream from. They completed two full days of scrims and practice, with Timmy estimating around nine-hour sessions each day. The team is abundantly aware that they are playing catch-up against some of the best opposition. “It was a lot of practice, I really got a good amount of warm-up beforehand, now that the tournament is in two days. I think we are really prepared.” But all this practice may still not make up for some of the earlier doubts about this team: Timmy’s ability to IGL. “I was always that player who was mechanically good, I think everyone can see that. That was my strong suit. My IGL skills back then weren’t the greatest, because Apex was the first game I competed in. I didn’t have any battle royale experience, or competitive experience at all. “It’s a lot easier now, knowing that we have, like, ‘set plans’. I don’t have to build a brand-new play out of nothing, anymore. It’s more like, ‘Let’s do that same play we did in scrims.’ From those, I have been getting better at making new plays on the spot, just small things. ‘Oh, there’s a team in our spot? Let’s go here instead.’ So I think I’ve improved a lot as a player and in my IGLing skills. Timmy also describes his teammate Dezignful as a ‘co-IGL’ who can support him in tough spots. “He definitely helps me a lot. He’s done it in the past, he has experience, so he can tell me whenever I call for something and it’s super outlandish.” Contesting POIs The Dojo may not have the pedigree as a squad that some of their rivals do, but Timmy is not shying away from competing for drops against the likes of NRG and Alliance, the latter of which they share a group with. “We’ve been contesting Alliance at Thermal, we’ve been going back and forth for sure, and they’ve been doing really well against us,” Timmy admitted. However, Alliance will be without Miron ‘Effect’ Novikov at least during the group stage due to visa issues, with Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek stepping in. Mande is still a talented player, but Timmy thinks this may upset the team’s synergy, giving them a better chance to win those fights. As for other teams and maps, The Dojo know when to contest for their favorite spots and when to give them up, to give themselves the best chance. Timmy’s top 3 Championship predictions Not including his own team, we asked Timmy to predict the top three after all is said and done at ALGS Champs, and he wasted no time in naming DarkZero as clear favorites. The 2022 world champions come into this year’s final as the Split 2 Playoffs winners, too, and there is no reason to question their streak continuing. Split 2 playoffs runners-up TSM are next on Timmy’s prediction, given their undeniable consistency, with Oxygen Esports his final nod, a newer roster that he says has been “dominating” NA and that secured third place at Split 2. Stacking up against these rosters, and many others at Champs, would make most teams that have been together only a few months doubt their chances. But Timmy exuded a quiet confidence that with their momentum from the LCQ, and the work they’ve been putting in, there is no reason they can’t make finals – and from there, “go nuclear.”

iiTzTimmy reveals return to Apex Legends competitive after two-year break – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy reveals return to Apex Legends competitive after two-year break Twitch100 Thieves’ Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has revealed that he’s making a move back into the Apex Legends competitive scene as he looks to start playing in the Challenger Circuit Split 2. Over the last few years, plenty of streamers and content creators have looked to make their mark on the competitive scene of the game they love. Naturally, some have found more success than others. In the case of iiTzTimmy, he’s dominated in Apex Legends’ casual and Ranked arenas for quite some time, and had some success in the esports world when he teamed with NiceWigg and Apryze as a part of Team Sheesh. That certainly went better than his time with Golden Guardians. He took a break from competing back in late 2021, noting that he had computer issues at the time, but also due to the undue negativity and criticism he’d received from the Apex community. That took a toll on his mental health and he decided to take a break. iiTzTimmy making return to Apex Legends competitive after hiatus Well, he’s now making a return in the Challenger Circuit Split 2, and he’s already got one member of his trio signed up. The 100 Thieves streamer dropped a TwitLonger addressing his initial exit from the scene and now his return on March 14, revealing that he was looking for a time for the upcoming challenger split, alongside former CLG and eUnited player Lyric ‘lyric’ Quinonez. “I’m happy and excited to announce that I will be competing once again with lyric, and we are looking for a controller player who can IGL (or not, I mean, I’ll run us down again no cap),” Timmy said. Interestingly, Apryze also announced his return to competitive play shortly after Timmy’s tweet, but he remains a keyboard and mouse player, so a reunion between two parts of Team Sheesh is unlikely. The qualifiers for Challenger Circuit Split 2 begin on March 25, so Timmy has sometime to put a team together just yet.

iiTzTimmy reveals best weapon for damage badges in Apex Legends – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy reveals best weapon for damage badges in Apex Legends YouTube: iiTzTimmyApex Legends streamer Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has revealed the best weapon in Apex Legends for farming damage and unlocking badges. While taking home the victory in Apex Legends matches will always be the primary goal for players, there are other achievements available for competitors to earn. Some of the most sought-after accolades are each of the damage badges, especially the challenge that requires reaching 4,000 damage in a single match. This can seem almost impossible for a lot of the community, who simply struggle to hit the number no matter how many enemies they take down. Well, according to iiTzTimmy, there’s a specific weapon you should be using to rack up damage, and it’s probably not the gun you’d expect. Longbow is perfect for racking up damage in Apex Legends A lot of players assume that a full auto SMG or AR is the best weapon for acquiring as much damage as possible in their matches. However, according to iiTzTimmy, the “secret” is running a long-range rifle – in this case, the Longbow – that can poke enemies from a distance. As sniper shots are unlikely to kill enemies in a single bullet, it allows you to rack up poke damage. After taking a shot, most enemies will go into cover and recover their lost shields. This gives you a chance to shoot them again if they peak or push their position with your secondary, ultimately resulting in more overall damage for you. You’d be surprised how much extra damage you can rack up by just having a Longbow in your secondary slot with a long-range optic. The gun is extremely powerful if you’re accurate with your shots and with the Skullpiercer hop up, it’s a force to be reckoned with for any set of opponents. While unlocking the 4k damage badge will never be easy, the Longbow is definitely a gun you should consider using if you want to boost your stats.

iiTzTimmy mocks “balanced” Rampart buff in latest Apex Legends update – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy mocks “balanced” Rampart buff in latest Apex Legends update iiTzTimmy / Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Evolution Collection update made plenty of changes to the game, which left popular streamer iiTzTimmy in disbelief after using Rampart’s newly buffed Sheila ultimate. With plenty of buffs and nerfs in the Apex Legends Evolution Collection update, there were bound to be some changes that would disrupt the current meta. While we wait and see which characters will reign supreme for the rest of Season 10, Rampart’s been looking strong with her revamped ultimate. Respawn unbounded Rampart’s minigun, Sheila, letting the Amped Modder take the oversized weapon to mow down anyone in its crosshairs. After a couple of days away from Apex, iiTzTimmy got back onto Olympus to get his first impressions on the game after the Evolution Collection patch. That’s when he rediscovered Sheila now that it can move with Rampart, and he was a bit surprised of its effectiveness after its buff. “My question is: Is this accurate on lift,” he said before giving Sheila a test run going up a jump tower. He didn’t have many targets to test out Sheila while riding up, but a few moments later he got to see how the mobile-machine gun can quickly erase people. A quick double kill from distance quickly let him form an opinion on Rampart’s buffs, joking that Sheila was “a fair and balanced gun.” Sheila can spit out a barrage of bullets and dish out plenty of damage – especially when paired with Rampart’s Amped Cover walls. Along with impressive accuracy, there’s plenty of reasons to call the buffed up ultimate overpowered. There were a few instances where iiTzTimmy saw just how potent the gun could be, even at long range, making it a much-needed, and long-requested, buff for Rampart. In the coming weeks we’ll see if her power got too strong after the Apex Legends update, but there are plenty of people loving the new changes to Rampart’s kit.

iiTzTimmy qualifies for first Apex Legends LAN event earning spot at ALGS Championship – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy qualifies for first Apex Legends LAN event earning spot at ALGS Championship TwitchTwitch streamer Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An has qualified for his first Apex Legends LAN event after earning a spot at the ALGS Championship through the NA LCQ. The regional Last Change Qualifiers for the upcoming ALGS Championship have just wrapped up, and it has seen a number of surprises from amateur teams making it through over various signed players. It turns out, the NA LCQ was no different. Coming into the event, FURIA Esports saw themselves in the mix after barely failing to qualify for ALGS Split 1 playoffs, and a low placement at the Split 2 playoffs. Despite their history, they were the favorites to qualify for the ALGS Championship. However, two teams, largely made up of unsigned and amateur players, came out on top in the NA LCQ, with one of them, in particular, seeing Apex Legends superstar iiTztimmy qualify for the LAN event. iiTzTimmy qualifies for ALGS Championship The Dojo is a team made up of iiTzTimmy, Tyler “Dezignful” Gardner, and Alexander “Enemy” Rodriguez. Together, this trio qualified for the LCQ by grinding through the Challenger Circuit. Throughout the LCQ they performed consistently, netting second place in their group in the first-round winner’s bracket. Into the second round, they placed first over FURIA with three 1st place finishes, a 2nd, and a 4th place finish mixed in as well. Coming into the Finals, it started out rough with a 15th-place finish. However, after a string of top placements at 2nd, 5th, and 3rd, they were then Match Point Eligible by the end of the fifth round. And in round six, after a nail-biting game, The Dojo pulled it off. The trio finished first, netting 73 match points and winning the entire LCQ a full ten points ahead of the second-place team, Dudes Night Out. “We f***ing did it! We f***ing won and are going to LAN!” iiTzTimmy tweeted out after qualifying for the ALGS Championship. “The boys Dezignful and Enemy are actually insane! F*** all the haters and most importantly thank you to all my supporters for believing in me.” iiTzTimmy’s team, The Dojo, will be traveling to the UK for the $2 million Championship finals event alongside 39 other teams this September. Tournament favorite FURIA finished a close third in the LCQ.

iiTzTimmy pulls off insane squad wipe without using a gun in Apex Legends – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy pulls off insane squad wipe without using a gun in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An managed to pull off an incredible squad wipe without using a weapon. While there are countless talented Apex players who stream on Twitch and create content for the community, very few have the reputation of iiTzTimmy. Whether he’s queueing up with Post Malone, climbing through the tiers in Ranked, or pulling off insane trick shots, there’s never a dull moment when you’re watching Timmy play Apex. Although his skill with the array of guns in the Outlands is unmatched by the majority of his opponents, he doesn’t necessarily need a weapon to dominate the competition. He showcased this in a recent stream when Timmy managed to wipe out an entire squad on his own without using a gun. iiTzTimmy 1v3s enemy squad with no gun in Apex Legends During a recent stream, iiTzTimmy pulled off an insane play that surprisingly, didn’t involve any of his impressive gunskills. After diving down onto Olympus at the Energy Depot POI, Timmy made his way to a loot box that unfortunately only contained an Arc Star, grenade, and a level 2 backpack. Having no time to react, Timmy was immediately attacked by an enemy squad that emerged from a nearby building. Using a single grenade and Arc Star, Timmy managed to use Pathfinder’s Tactical to hold an opponent in place, with the explosion even downing two other enemies in the same room. Timmy then immediately rushed into the building and used melee to take down two separate players who both had weapons. This resulted in a full wipe and left him plenty of loot to take on the rest of the lobby. Although there are countless highlight-reel plays involving weapons, very few showcase a player outplaying opponents with their fists and throwables. The majority of players would have panicked or given up completely after seeing no weapons in the first bin. It just goes to show how talented Timmy is and how it is possible to come out on top when the odds are against you.

iiTzTimmy proves underrated Bow can dominate Apex Legends with insane killing spree – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy proves underrated Bow can dominate Apex Legends with insane killing spree Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has showcased how powerful the Bocek Bow can be if you have pinpoint accuracy. Since arriving all the way back in Season 9, the Bocek Bow has remained a niche weapon that very few players feel comfortable using effectively. As it’s slow-firing and requires pinpoint accuracy to maximize its damage, most of the community prefers to pick up a Spitfire or an R-301 as it’s much easier to consistently win gunfights. As a result, the bow often gets overlooked by a lot of players in Apex but there’s no denying it’s extremely powerful if every arrow hits the mark. Well, popular streamer iiTzTimmy showcased exactly that in a recent stream where he managed to go on a rampage with the bow, taking out countless opponents in a matter of seconds. iiTzTimmy shows how powerful Bocek Bow can be in Apex During his June 3 stream, Timmy was approaching the end game of a match on Storm Point with eight squads left in the lobby. Equipped with the Bocek while playing Horizon, he noticed a bunch of teams fighting on the Cascade Falls POI and decided to push aggressively. Diving straight into the action, Timmy immediately entered a Bangalore smoke, landing multiple arrows on opponents and taking out an Octane mid-air. Falling down into a nearby building, he then landed arrow after arrow to kill off another two opponents, racking up a huge amount of kills with the bow in a matter of seconds. While Timmy’s skill with the bow certainly isn’t comparable to a casual Apex player, it does show what is possible if you put in enough practice with the Bocek. The weapon deals a serious amount of damage and can catch opponents off guard who won’t expect to lose half their armor and shields to a single headshot. So, next time you see a bow on the ground, give it another shot and see if you can pull off any highlight-reel plays with the Bocek.

iiTzTimmy proves powerful LMG is being underrated in Apex Legends – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy proves powerful LMG is being underrated in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/iTzTimmyApex Legends streamer iiTzTimmy decided to use the L-STAR and prove how powerful the underrated LMG can be in a skilled player’s hands. When it comes to the weapon meta in Apex Legends Season 16, the Nemesis AR, R99, and the Sentinel have stood out as the strongest picks. While they’re all extremely dominant, their popularity has led the community to overlook a lot of other underrated guns. One of which is the L-STAR, an energy-based LMG that thrives at medium to long range and has a huge ammo capacity. Well, to prove this old-school weapon can still be effective, iiTzTimmy decided to push it to the limit and prove it’s still top-tier. iiTzTimmy dominates Apex Legends match with L-STAR The L-STAR has always been a polarizing weapon in Apex Legends, with some players swearing by its power, and others claiming it’s absolutely useless. With an overheat mechanic and a slow fire rate, it requires a lot of precision to get the most out of this LMG, but can it hold its own in the meta? Well, iiTzTimmy seems to think so, arguing the “L-STAR is back” and racking up over 2,600 damage and 10 kills with the gun in a single match. Timmy showed exactly why the energy LMG is still a strong pick, lasering foes down at long range and even utilizing the gun’s solid hip fire. If you’re going to use the L-STAR, we recommend hunting down a 2x or 3x scope as quickly as possible as the iron sight can be incredibly awkward to use. Not only that, make sure to equip an SMG or shotgun alongside the L-STAR as it will ensure you have plenty of firepower at close quarters as well as from afar.

iitzTimmy praises Seer Heirloom in Apex Legends but baffled by one part – Dexerto
iitzTimmy praises Seer Heirloom in Apex Legends but baffled by one part Twitch: iitzTimmy/Respawn EntertainmentPopular streamer Timmy ‘iitzTimmy’ An is impressed with Seer’s Showstoppers Heirloom in Apex Legends, but one aspect of it “makes no sense” to him. Apex Legends’ Spellbound Collection Event arrived on January 10 and it introduced an array of fresh cosmetics, private matches, and brought back the fan-favorite Control LTM. Despite this, the feature that’s getting the most attention is Seer’s Showstoppers Heirloom which has countless unique animations and rare interactions. The Ambush Master’s mythic collectible has received a positive reception from the community, but a lot of players are keen to see the verdict from their favorite streamers. Well, iitzTimmy finally got his hands on Seer’s Heirloom on a recent stream and although he was impressed, there’s one aspect of it that “makes no sense” to him. iitzTimmy gives final verdict on Seer’s Heirloom During a recent stream, iitzTimmy finally got his hands on Seer’s Showstoppers Heirloom and tested out all the animations for his viewers. Describing the sickles as “clean” and “cool”, Timmy was extremely impressed with the melee interactions. Moving onto the inspect animations, the rose petal and spinning blades left Timmy saying “wow” and even pushed him to admit that “this Heirloom is really good”. However, for him, the drawing aspect of the Showstoppers “makes no sense” and doesn’t fit the theme of the rest of the Heirloom. While the mythic item has a combination of different sketches, it felt a little “random” to him for Seer to just pull out a pad and pen. Although that part of the Heirloom left Timmy confused, it’s clear he was impressed with the Heirloom overall. Despite this, he did take the time to mention that he thinks Seer will get nerfed now his Showstoppers have been released.

How to watch iiTzTimmy Apex Legends stream with Post Malone – Dexerto
How to watch iiTzTimmy Apex Legends stream with Post Malone Twitch: iitztimmy/Post Malone/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer iiTzTimmy is gearing up for a big Twitch stream with popular musician Post Malone in what could be one of the biggest Apex Legends streams to date. Timmy is one of the biggest names in Apex, with his insane mechanical skill standing out among even the best players in the world. With 1.6m followers on Twitch, he’s supremely popular in the Respawn Entertainment battle royale title, but Post Malone’s fame eclipses just about anybody on Twitch. At the tail end of 2021 and throughout 2022, Posty hasn’t made any secret of his love for Apex Legends, either. In January 2022, he revealed just how much he loved it — but admitted he’s not great at the game. iiTzTimmy x Post Malone Apex Legends stream You’ll be able to watch Timmy and Posty dominate Apex on Timmy’s Twitch channel, embedded above. It’s due to take place on Thursday, February 24 at 1PM PST / 4PM EST/ 9PM GMT / 10PM. While Post has admitted that he’s not great at the game, expect to see Timmy carry him to plenty of dubs — but he might even surprise us with some great plays too! PLAYING APEX DUOS WITH @PostMalone AT 1 PM PST TOMORROW! LETS GET THESE DUBS! 🥶 ARTIST: @ArtNoush pic.twitter.com/BQdxDVmciw — 100T iiTzTimmy (@iiTzTimmy) February 24, 2022 This won’t be the first time Post Malone has played in a streamer’s broadcast. A few years ago, he grinded Call of Duty: World War II and would frequently play with Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who was a professional CoD commentator at the time. He’s also a co-owner of Envy Gaming, so he might attempt to pull some strings and bring Timmy to the historic org. Stranger things have happened.

iiTzTimmy pokes fun at Apex Legends L-Star nerf: “It’s still OP” – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy pokes fun at Apex Legends L-Star nerf: “It’s still OP” Twitch: iitzTimmy/RespawnApex Legends star iiTzTimmy took some shots at the nerf given to the L-Star by Respawn Entertainment, claiming that it is still pretty overpowered regardless of the changes. Just like its other battle royale rivals, Apex Legends has had a few issues with things being overpowered in-game and annoying players to no end. With most of the focus being on the legends abilities, OP weapons aren’t always at the forefront of player complaints. Though, that’s not to say that they get ignored. OP weapons do get changes as often as the legends. Following the Evolution Collection event update, some fans believe that the L-Star was nerfed “into the ground” but when Apex Legends streamer iiTzTimmy took a look, he wasn’t too sure. During his September 18 stream, the Apex star was going through the patch notes and checking out the recent weapon changes, giving his thoughts on what Respawn had tweaked. Read More: New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Encore’ leaked – When he got around to the L-Star, again, viewers pointed out that it had been nerfed heavily, but he wasn’t having it – destroying the firing range targets with precision and taking shots at the nerf. “Wait, it’s nerfed? What can I do now that the L-Star nerfed,” the streamer joked as he dished out headshots on the dummies. “Chat, I have no idea what I can do now. I can’t pick this gun up anymore! I really can’t, it’s so bad.” He continued destroying the targets and joking about the nerf before proclaiming: “It’s still OP.” Timestamp of 22:50 As he tested each change out, the streamer come to the conclusion that the Bocek Bow benefitted most from the changes, given the buff given to the Shatter Caps hop-up. Of course, Respawn are always considering tweaks and the L-Star might have to go under the microscope again, especially if it’s not been nerfed as heavily as some initially thought. But we’ll have to wait and see.

iiTzTimmy plays Apex Legends with controller for first time and he’s still insane – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy plays Apex Legends with controller for first time and he’s still insane Twitch: IiTzTimmy, Xbox, Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An ventured out of his comfort zone by playing Respawn’s battle royale with a controller for the first time, proving he’s still a god at the game no matter what. Apex Legends is an ultra-competitive experience that relies on high-level movement and supreme gun skill. Streamer iiTzTimmy is known for his dexterity in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, but do his skills end at his mouse and keyboard? Eager to find out for himself, Timmy dug out his trusty controller and found out just how menacing Apex’s learning curve can be. iiTzTimmy grapples with Apex’s controller gameplay While streaming alongside fellow Apex Legends content creator Daltoosh, Timmy switched out his normal setup for an Xbox controller for fun. “You on the M&K and me on the controller?” Timmy suggested during the pre-game lobby. Daltoosh responded immediately with a “hell nah” as Timmy refined his setup for the match ahead: “This controller has seen better days.” Before they dropped in for a chaotic battle Daltoosh only had one condition that Timmy must adhere to: “I just gotta ask you one thing, as long as you don’t go 5 feet away from someone and hit like a 140 spray with a controller then say THIS IS AIMBOT…just like everyone else does when they first play controller.” Immediately after dropping in Daltoosh was downed hilariously fast but Timmy persevered. “Okay controller demon let’s go!” said Daltoosh as Timmy ran into a gunfight. The streamer managed to get in a few hits, downing an enemy player to his own surprise: “That was a nasty f****** one clip!” However, his success was short-lived as more players rushed Timmy, causing him to go into a panic. “I can’t reload, I can’t reload what the f***!” said Timmy as he was quickly sent back to the lobby. In the future, we think Timmy will be leaving the controller behind but he’s still a deadly foe no matter what.

iiTzTimmy outplayed by Apex Legends controller master in intense 1v1 – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy outplayed by Apex Legends controller master in intense 1v1 Respawn Entertainment/iiTzTimmyAfter running into Extesyy in an Apex Legends match, iiTzTimmy was outclassed by the controller movement master in an intense 1v1 skirmish. While iiTzTimmy plays a variety of games on Twitch, he’s most well-known for his extremely impressive Apex Legends gameplay. Recently, the talented streamer even took down aceu and his entire squad with a Mozambique at Twitch Rivals. So, it’s safe to say very few players can outmatch Timmy, especially when it comes to mechanics and movement. Well, a popular Apex controller master has managed to do exactly that, taking down CouRage and then coming out on top in a 1v1 versus Timmy. iiTzTimmy wiped out by controller god Extesyy in 1v1 During a recent stream, iiTzTimmy, CouRage, and NiceWigg were playing on Storm Point when they were attacked by Wraith player Extesyy at the Cascade Falls POI. Immediately getting one-clipped, CouRage was taken down in an instant and simply relayed “goodbye cruel world” to his team. After realizing CouRage had hit Extesyy for 80 damage, Timmy decided to push the controller master on Pathfinder with his grapple. Taking the 1v1, Timmy appeared to miss all of his bullets thanks to Extesyy’s strafing and movement. He was quickly taken down, granting Extesyy the 1v2, but luckily, NiceWigg landed a swift headshot with the Sentinel to finally eliminate the controller god. Topic starts at 0:17 NoobHunter provides both perspectives above so you can see exactly how both players perform in the 1v1. What makes this play so impressive is that Extesyy is queueing Trios solo, so he has to rely purely on his skill to outplay multiple opponents. Although he couldn’t pull off the 1v3 this time, taking down Timmy in a 1v1 is an achievement in itself, as he is very rarely bested in the Outlands.

iiTzTimmy highlights biggest issue with “odd” Apex Legends ranked mode in Season 15 – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy highlights biggest issue with “odd” Apex Legends ranked mode in Season 15 iiTzTimmy100 Thieves’ Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has highlighted what he believes is the biggest issue with Apex Legends’ Ranked mode – and that’s the ridiculous queue times. Apex legends’ Ranked mode has undergone a literary of changes over the past few seasons, as Respawn has looked to address fan complaints with the mode. It is still the place to go if you want to compete against the best of the best, but Ranked has created its fair share of new headaches in recent seasons. Players have been able to shoot to the top of the leaderboard by abusing smaller population servers, while others are still DDOS’ing big-name players, and using cheats. In the case of iiTzTimmy, the Twitch star has dialed back how much time he dedicates to Apex, but despite still being one of the most skilled players and has grinded from Bronze to Apex Predator, he tries to avoid playing Ranked these days. iiTzTimmy explains why Apex Legends Ranked mode is “not fun” It was something the 100 Thieves member brought up during a recent stream, as he pointed out some of the big issues with the “not fun” Ranked mode. “The main thing I hate is the queue times, I just hate the queue times in general,” he said, noting the difference between waiting 10 minutes for an Apex game and something like Valorant or Escape from Tarkov. “I don’t like the fact that I have to wait so long in every single queue and play a game where you could potentially die right off drop,” he added. Timmy continued that, of course, comes with the territory of playing a BR but it still creates headaches. He also touched on the fact he, personally, doesn’t need a Ranked badge to tell him he’s good at the game – he knows that anyway. “Just the quality of Ranked too, how the points systems work, how everything works is just really odd and not fun. There’s nothing about this Ranked system that’s interesting or fun,” he added. With Ranked undergoing such big changes recently, it’s unlikely that Respawn shakes things up in a major way so soon, but they’re always changing things so maybe a few tweaks could be made.

iitzTimmy frustrated with Apex Legends Season 14 changes to TTK – Dexerto
iitzTimmy frustrated with Apex Legends Season 14 changes to TTK Twitch: iitzTimmy/RespawnTwitch star Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has, once again, been dominating in Apex Legends Season 14, but he’s got a few issues with the battle royale’s TTK. Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted has brought about some of the biggest changes to Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale that we’ve seen in quite some time. In addition to the new legend, Vantage, and the remodeling of Kings Canyon, the loot pool has been given an almighty shake-up – especially when it comes to the weapons that are scattered across the Apex Games. One of the biggest concerns players have had about the new season is the addition of Skullpiercer rounds to weapons like the 30-30 Repeater and Wingman, with some believing it is completely “broken” already. In the case of iiTzTimmy, he’s got a few issues with it things too, notably with the TTK (Time to Kill). iiTzTimmy annoyed by TTK in Apex Legends During his August 11 stream, the Apex Legends phenom was asked for his new thoughts on the season and quickly noted that he has been enjoying it, though the TTK changes cause headaches. “I feel like anytime I get shot, I’m almost dead, every single time,” the streamer said. “Like, the Time to Kill in this season is so f**king fast now. You’ve got the Skullpiercer Longbow, Skullpiercer 30-30, Skullpiercer Wingman, two shots and I’m f**king 1HP. “I got this guy ramping up a f**king cannon on me, pushing me with a PK, f**king EVA double tap. God damn. F**king bowing me for half a second and I’m 1HP again too, Jesus Christ. I’m just getting f**ked, man.” While the changes are designed to level the playing field somewhat, if things are still getting out of hand after a few weeks, Respawn may have to step in and take a look at things. It remains to be seen if that will happen, so we’ll just have to keep an eye on what the devs have planned for changes.

iiTzTimmy explains why top Apex Legends streamers often ban mention of game on Twitch – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy explains why top Apex Legends streamers often ban mention of game on Twitch iitztimmyApex Legends superstar iiTzTimmy explained on the latest episode of 100 Thieves Podcast, Boomer vs Zoomer, why so many of Apex’s biggest streamers ban mentions of the game from their chat on Twitch. iiTzTimmy is one of Apex’s biggest streamers, from playing with Post Malone to getting from Bronze to Predator in a single stream, he has cemented himself in the game’s history books. But of course, just like any normal streamer, he still likes playing different games from time to time. However, some fans don’t quite get this mentality and only enjoy him playing Apex. In the latest episode of the 100 Thieves podcast Boomer vs Zoomer, Timmy got into a conversation with Kyedae and Peter Park about banned Twitch words. It was there when Peter mentioned how steamers like Lululuvely banned the word “Apex” because viewers would pester her about playing it despite her clearly in the middle of a different game. Clip starts 2:00 Timmy continued the discussion saying it’s very common for streamers like him, Lulu and aceu to ban “Apex” from their chats. He explained, “it’s not the fact we don’t like the game anymore, or we hate Apex, it’s just that we don’t want the chat to be spammed on Apex.” He went on to give an anecdote that highlighted his point, saying, “if somebody types ‘play Apex’ once or twice, and the streamer doesn’t say anything about it, you would think they would stop right?” “It actually activates them, and they think, ‘I’m angry you didn’t just read my message so I’m gonna type it six more times.” He continues to say that even when he bans the word, the user’s messages are taken down, and they are given a message that he wants to stream other games. They still wouldn’t understand and still attempt to spam his chat to play Apex. “I see the deleted messages, and this guy has typed ‘play Apex’ and has been deleted 10 times and he is just committed,” Timmy said. Timmy’s message was clear. Sometimes streamers want to play different games from what they normally stream, and they shouldn’t be pestered into always playing a singular game.

iiTzTimmy explains why he refused salary from DSG as The Dojo joins Disguised – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy explains why he refused salary from DSG as The Dojo joins Disguised YouTube: DisguisediiTzTimmy explains why he refused to take a salary from DSG as The Dojo signs on to Disguised for the 2024 ALGS season. In one of the most exciting moves in the 2024 ALGS offseason, Disguised, the export org started by Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, signed the free agent team The Dojo, comprising of streaming mega star Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An, alongside Tyler “Dezignful” Gardner, Alexander “Enemy” Rodriguez, and Deston “Bronzey” Nguyen as their coach. And as the team gears up for the upcoming ALGS NA split, iiTzTimmy and Toast revealed that upon The Dojo signing with DSG, Timmy agreed to not take any salary he would’ve gotten from the org. In the announcement video of the signing, Toast revealed that one of the main reasons why the huge signing happened was because Timmy agreed to not take a salary. Clip starts at 3:17 & 8:14 “A big part of the reason we were able to make this work was because Timmy – I think I can say this – agreed to not take a salary from DSG because he knows we’re broke,” Toast said. “So the financial support we’re getting from Apex Legends can be then moved directly to his teammates so they have a livable salary.” Disguised was announced as part of EA’s 12-team partnership program in which they receive stipends. However, Toast has not been shy about discussing the org’s financial troubles, especially the industry’s problems, and has been outspoken about attempting to make esports profitable. “At DSG, a big part of what we do is try to make everything make financial sense and we were able to make it happen this time.” iiTzTimmy said of not taking a salary from DSG, “Honestly, I’m just super happy that the boys got some salaries, you know, an org to represent. I think they need it more than I do, and honestly, I’m just happy I can give them this opportunity and have a team to represent.” iiTzTimmy is also put in an interesting position, as he will be competing under DSG, however, is still signed onto 100 Thieves as a content creator, likely making him the first-ever pro player signed onto two esports orgs at once.

iiTzTimmy explains why controller players ‘dominate’ Apex Legends competitive – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy explains why controller players ‘dominate’ Apex Legends competitive iiTzTimmy/Respawn/Unsplash100 Theives’ Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has weighed in on the ongoing debate between controller vs mouse and keyboard in Apex Legends, and he believes aim assist is a bit strong. The debate between whether controller or keyboard and mouse is stronger in Apex Legends has raged for quite some time, with both sides believing the other holds a key advantage in some way. Mouse and keyboard players have claimed that controller is utterly dominant, though, likening the aim assist to a “soft aimbot” in the last few months. Some Apex Legends pros have even switched to controller in competitive play, and it’s been paying off for them in ALGS matches as they’ve been topping the kills leaderboards. In the case of iiTzTimmy, the 100 Thieves star is a dedicated keyboard and mouse player, pulling off some of the best highlights the game has ever seen, but he has tested a controller too. Though, he wouldn’t make the switch again. iiTzTimmy debates controller vs keyboard & mouse in Apex Legends It was a topic that came up during a recent stream, with Timmy talking about keyboard and mouse versus controllers in a competitive setting. “I do think controllers are strong, I do think they are difficult to play on. I think controllers are kind of hard to play on, it’s definitely not the easiest thing because you’re limited with your fingers, but I think if you play controller a lot, I don’t think it’s that hard,” the 100 Thieves star said. “I feel like the aim assist is really strong, I wouldn’t say it’s easy don’t get me wrong, but I would say it’s harder for M/K players to aim of course. I mean, that’s how it should be for sure, would I go on controller full-time? No, I don’t think so.” Timmy noted that mouse and keyboard is more “fun” to play on, especially given the movement techniques you can pull off, but when it comes to competitive play, it’s all about aiming and that’s where controller players are “dominant.” Some players have urged Respawn to tone down aim assist especially in competitive play, but it is such a fine line to navigate that they can’t do something like that on a whim. So, who knows if it will ever change.

iitzTimmy explains the main reason he’s getting bored of Apex Legends – Dexerto
iitzTimmy explains the main reason he’s getting bored of Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/iiTzTimmyPopular streamer Timmy ‘iitzTimmy’ An has revealed his biggest problem with Apex Legends and why he’s getting bored of Respawn’s battle royale. Over the years, iitzTimmy has established himself as one of the most popular and talented Apex Legends streamers on Twitch. Pulling off impressive highlight-reel clips and even playing with massive celebrities like Post Malone, it’s safe to say Timmy keeps his viewers entertained. Despite this, Timmy doesn’t limit himself to the Outlands, as he’s often playing other titles like V Rising, Overwatch 2, and more recently even Modern Warfare 2. Well, during a recent stream, Timmy revealed why he’s been playing less Apex and even outlined his biggest problem with the game at the moment. iitzTimmy reveals his biggest problem with Apex Legends During a recent stream, Timmy decided to hop-on Apex but while booting it up, his viewers noticed he didn’t seem motivated to play. That’s when Timmy revealed that in his opinion “there’s nothing” challenging about Apex anymore for him. According to him, the game only ever pits him up against “10-year-olds” or casuals who just want to have fun and mess around in-game. So, when he’s “tap-strafing” and one-shotting these opponents with ease, it doesn’t feel good or rewarding for him. Ultimately, it’s obvious Timmy has a problem with Apex’s matchmaking, which has been a major issue that’s been raised by the community for a long-time. Although Ranked offers a more competitive environment for players like Timmy, competitors are significantly less aggressive and in higher tiers, a lot of cheaters are causing havoc. So, it’s clear Timmy is losing motivation to play Apex and with games like Overwatch 2 and MW2 recently coming out, it’s easy to see why he’s choosing to play them instead.

iiTzTimmy explains why he stopped playing Apex Legends in Season 15 – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy explains why he stopped playing Apex Legends in Season 15 Twitter: iiTzTimmy / Respawn EntertainmentDespite being well known for his Apex Legends skills, 100 Thieves star Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has taken his foot off the gas, revealing why he is no longer booting it up and his frustrations with the game’s lack of progress. Over the years, iiTzTimmy has built a name for himself as one of the most popular and talented Apex Legends streamers on Twitch. However, the content creator has been playing less and less of Apex, focusing on other multiplayer titles such as Escape From Tarkov, Overwatch 2, and Valorant. When asked why he has stopped playing Apex, Timmy reflected on the last time he was truly excited to play it. “I would say when this map came out,” he began, referring to recent map Broken Moon. “I was excited. I was pretty hyped about it and then I played it a little bit longer and then the queues were dead for ranked…and I was just like I’m not gonna play. Like I can’t even get into a game so like what’s the point of playing.” However, this isn’t the first time iiTzTimmy has expressed his frustration at the lack of engagement with Apex Legends. Back in November 2022, he spoke on stream about his lack of motivation to play Apex. He revealed “there’s nothing” challenging about Apex anymore for him, and the game only ever pits him up against “10-year-olds” or casuals who just want to have fun and mess around in-game. It’s not the most surprising take given Timmy has completed numerous insane Apex Legends challenges, including going from Bronze to Master in one stream. With Season 16 of Apex Legends set to drop in February 2023 and the Lunar New Year collection event beginning of January 10, this new wave of content could bring iitzTimmy back to the game and renews his excitement for Apex.

iiTzTimmy explains how playing Valorant made him “unstoppable” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy explains how playing Valorant made him “unstoppable” in Apex Legends iiTzTimmy/Riot Games/Respawn EntertainmentTimmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An has explained how playing Valorant has improved his skills on Apex Legends and made him “unstoppable” in gunfights. iiTzTimmy is one of the most popular content creators in the Apex Legends community, with 1.6 million YouTube subscribers and over 2.4 million Twitch followers. Whether it’s his highlight reel plays, incredible Ranked challenges, or helpful tips for players, Timmy’s streams never fail to entertain his viewers. Despite primarily playing Apex, Timmy also enjoys the more tactical and precise gameplay of Valorant. According to him, his time on Riot’s FPS has given him an “unstoppable” mindset on Apex and allowed him to play more aggressively. iiTzTimmy claims Valorant has improved his Apex skills During a recent stream, iiTzTimmy took the time to explain how Valorant has helped improve at Apex Legends. The talented FPS player revealed that in Valorant if “you’re ever afraid, then you’re not going to win the fight”. So, playing Riot’s tactical shooter has given him a massive “confidence boost” in his own ability when approaching gunfights. While he used to be “nervous” before, he now feels “unstoppable” in high-pressure situations which allows him to “push everything” and play extremely aggressively. While a lot of players are constantly focused on honing their gun skills and mastery of a Legend, mindset and confidence are two factors that often get overlooked. If there’s no doubt in your mind about winning a gunfight, you’re more likely to come out on top and outplay your opponent. So if you’re struggling to trust yourself in high-pressure situations, it may be worth hopping on Valorant like Timmy, where skirmishes are decided by a single bullet, and your aim has to be pinpoint accurate.

iiTzTimmy embarrasses Apex Legends badge boosters in savage game-winning play – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy embarrasses Apex Legends badge boosters in savage game-winning play Twitch: iiTzTimmyiiTzTimmy is one of the premier names in Apex Legends so anyone who is cheating in his lobbies better be prepared for the fight of a lifetime once they make it to the endgame. Unfortunately for these boosters, they weren’t quite ready for the coming storm. Timmy has been one of Apex’s leading faces for quite some time now and he never goes too long without pulling off some kind of highlight play or another to keep his audience perpetually amazed. This time around he sniffed out some cheaters in his casual lobby and took it on himself to hunt them down and put a stop to their nefarious acts. While taking on a squad’s worth of people might not be the best idea for the average player, the streamer demonstrated once again why he’s a cut above the rest when it comes to FPS games. iiTzTimmy squad wipes badge boosters to win a game The party kicked off when he realized the same names had been popping up in the in-game kill feed repeatedly. While that might go over the head of a casual, Timmy has put in a little too much time to miss such a crucial detail. It didn’t take long for him to go on the hunt and clear out all the nooks and crannies left inside the ring. After giving the most obvious area a good sweep, he turned his focus to the opposite side of the map and took off after his prey. He eventually stumbled on them out in the open and wasted no time taking care of the situation. “I need to kill Valk,” he commented before turning the entire squad into swiss cheese. As the streamer was disposing of the first two enemies, the remaining duo had a chance to scatter and get away with their lives but Timmy proved to be too fast for them as well. All in all, it took less than 25 shots from his G7 Scout and EVA-8 combined to take down four enemies and close out the game and send the cheating squads back to the lobby. Respawn has made changes to get on top of several different types of cheating, but they’re not always immediately effective measures. For now, it looks like the community will have to rely on good samaritans like Timmy to step in and handle the problem whenever it pops up in an individual game.

iiTzTimmy confirms The Dojo will “run it back” after Apex Legends Championship success – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy confirms The Dojo will “run it back” after Apex Legends Championship success ALGSComing off a shock 4th-place finish at the ALGS Championship, iiTzTimmy has confirmed that he is sticking together with his teammates under The Dojo banner to compete next season. Before making a splash at the world championship, The Dojo was an underdog team consisting of Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An, Alex ‘Enemy’ Rodriguez, and Tyler ‘Dezignful’ Gardner. Few gave them a chance of even qualifying for the event via the Last Chance Qualifier, with TSM’s Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen questioning the team’s lack of an experienced IGL. However, Timmy shut these doubts down emphatically as he guided the team to the Championship in Birmingham, where they finished fourth overall. The Dojo could have even won the whole event, had they won a crucial fight against TSM in the final game. Instead, TSM won the fight, allowing them to secure the best position in the final ring and pick up the trophy. The Dojo will stick together for ALGS Year 4 On his stream on September 12, Timmy addressed the team’s plans moving forward. “We are going to run it back. We are going to continue playing together, we’re going to scrim, we’re going to play the next tournament. “I think the next LAN is in three or four months, so we’re just going to prepare for that, we should hopefully qual for that, do well in it, and you know, take the f**king trophy home.” Timmy went on to argue that their squad is one of the top fighting teams in the game, responding to some criticism they received for ‘ratting’ – a term used for essentially hiding in a secluded area to improve placement over kills. “I’m excited. I’m very excited for us. I personally think we are one of the top fighting teams out there. As proven, we have the most kills, we take a lot of fights. We have strategies in terms of ratting, but that’s the game,” Timmy explained. He continued, “Hate me for playing the game in a different way than some other teams will, but do what you’ve got to do, you know, to win.” Indeed, The Dojo finished the ALGS Championship with the fourth-most kill points overall at 129, only a few kills behind TSM (133) themselves. Individually, Enemy finished 9th overall for kills at the event, with 51, thanks mainly to a whopping 18 kills in the finals, bettered only by ImperialHal’s 22. The full circuit details for ALGS Year 4 are yet to be confirmed, but we now know The Dojo will be there.
