Apex Legends streamer iiTzTimmy completes insane Bronze to Master grind in one sitting Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: iitzTimmyTimmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An is known for being one of the most cracked aimers in Apex Legends. He put his own skills to the test by trying to complete a Bronze to Master challenge in just one stream, and he did so in an epic 33-hour broadcast. Apex Legends fanatics will have seen iiTzTimmy’s antics in the battle royale. From Day 1, he’s been at the top of Twitch for the title, flexing his insane mechanics in pubs and ranked. However, he undertook his biggest challenge yet on March 8. Just days after breaking the damage record, he set on a mission to grind a fresh account from Bronze to Master in just one day — solo. While the grind was easy at the start, it started getting tricky as he approached Platinum and Diamond. However, 33 hours after kicking off his stream, he completed the challenge on March 9; finishing with a huge eight-kill dub on his signature Horizon, with 2,500 damage to boot. “We f**king did it chat. Who would have thought that I would today have 53,000 viewers in my channel and be streaming for 33 hours. This is an actual banger,” he said on stream, after completing the insane challenge. “WTF just happened,” the star added on Twitter. “I can’t express how unbelievable today was. I have no words but thank you. For everyone who supported me, whether you watched, donated, or hosted, I genuinely couldn’t thank you enough. I love you all and I’m happy [with] who I’ve become.” Timmy’s efforts were duly noted by the Apex Legends community. It’s by far his biggest stream — not just in the fact it went for 33 hours, but he pulled huge numbers. I can’t express how unbelievable today was. 33 hour stream (solo bronze to masters). I have no words but thank you. For everyone who supported me, whether you watched, donated, or hosted, I genuinely couldn’t thank you enough. I love you all and I’m happy of who I’ve become 😭❤️ pic.twitter.com/sdZ4Vn5SQb — 100T iiTzTimmy (@iiTzTimmy) March 9, 2021 The star streamer’s broadcast peaked at over 53,000 viewers doing so — almost 10x his regular viewer count of around 6,000 to 7,000. He also gained nearly 58,000 followers, as well as 3,400 subscribers; which is a huge payday. Read More: Apex Legends Chaos Theory event – Fellow Apex stars, like TSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen and Mac ;Labralelie’ Beckwith, as well as Christian ‘Nokokopuffs’ Feliciano, acknowledged his huge effort. Timmy’s earned himself a bit of a break from the grind after this huge effort, but we all know the Apex star is going to be back soon to tear up the queues — just maybe not for 33 hours straight.

iiTzTimmy claims Gibraltar & Newcastle will be meta again in Apex Legends Season 16 – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy claims Gibraltar & Newcastle will be meta again in Apex Legends Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentiiTzTimmy is one of Apex Legends’ most popular content creators and he believes that Season 16 Legend changes will make Gibraltar & Newcastle meta picks once again. Timmy is an all-around FPS star. From Apex to Valorant, he’s known for breaking ankles and establishing dominance in every shooter he plays. He’s done nearly everything there is to do in Apex Legends, including reaching Predator rank in a single stream, and he simply keeps getting better as the weeks roll on. All of that experience has led him to determine that the game is headed for a familiar in Season 16 thanks to one big change to the Support class. iiTzTimmy explains why Newcastle & Gibraltar will be meta in Apex Legends Season 16 After February 14, all Support Legends will be able to craft their teammates’ banners (expired or not) at a Replicator. This means that Newcastle, Lifeline, Loba, and Gibraltar will all have access to this ability and can bring back their friends at any point. While the two big guys from that list have slowly drifted out of the top picks over the last two seasons, this kind of safety net will be huge in putting them back in place. The movement magician explained a little bit about what that will mean for the rest of the game in a Season 16 preview video. “You’ll see Watson/Newcastle in the comp, or like Gibraltar/Caustic with obviously like a Skirmisher or Assault [Legend]” the streaming star explained. “It’s going to be cool…I think this meta will shift a lot.” The current meta has been dominated by a much more aggressive playstyle, with Legends like Horizon and Valkyrie being highly valued for their ability to cover ground. This faster playstyle was bolstered by the rise of Seer and his ‘wallhack’ passive, which makes it easier to single out enemies and converge on them as a group, meaning slower characters were left behind as the game sped up. Timmy also showed off the new Nemesis Burst AR in a quick preview of the upcoming Team Deathmatch mode, and eventually determined that it’s “really OP.” The fan reaction to Season 16 changes has been overwhelmingly positive, and Timmy’s reaction has only added to the hype.

iiTzTimmy claims Apex Legends TTK is too fast in Season 14 after weapon changes – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy claims Apex Legends TTK is too fast in Season 14 after weapon changes Respawn Entertainment/iiTzTimmyApex Legends streamer Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An thinks the weapon TTK in Season 14 has increased significantly and may be a little too fast. Alongside Vantage, Kings Canyon map changes, and the level cap increase, Season 14 introduced a major set of weapon changes. This completely shook up the meta, with guns labeled as underpowered in Season 13 suddenly dominating the Outlands in Hunted. A lot of these buffs and upgrades came in the form of hop-ups, with the Longbow, 30-30 Repeater, and Wingman all getting the Skullpiercer, and of course, the EVA-8 being fit with the Double-Tap. While these changes have seen underused weapons climb their way up into the meta, Apex streamer iiTzTimmy thinks they may have increased the overall TTK of guns a little too much. iiTzTimmy complains weapon TTK is too high in Season 14 During a recent stream, Timmy was asked by one of his viewers whether he was enjoying Season 14 and the fresh content that was added. In response, Timmy revealed that he likes Hunted but he does feel like “anytime I get shot I’m almost dead… the TTK in this season is so fast now”. He blames the increase in weapon power on the multiple hop-ups that were added to a range of guns, including the Skullpiercer for the Longbow, 30-30, Wingman, and of course, the Double Tap EVA. “Pushing me with a PK, EVA Double Tap, god damn, bowing me for half a second and I’m 1 hp… I’m just getting f***ed man”. It’s hard to know whether Respawn was deliberately looking to increase the overall TTK of weapons heading into Season 14. However, with all the hop-up changes, they’ve certainly achieved that and it’ll be interesting to see whether the community prefers it as we head further into Hunted. Either way, there’s definitely less room for error and getting caught in the open in Season 14 is a guaranteed death sentence.

iiTzTimmy announces switch from DSG to Moist Esports in mid ALGS split move – Dexerto
iiTzTimmy announces switch from DSG to Moist Esports in mid ALGS split move Red BullTimothy “iiTzTimmy” An has announced his departure from DSG’s Apex Legends team, making a move to Moist Esports in a sudden mid-ALGS roster shift. iiTzTimmy has been a staple on DSG’s Apex Legends team, even before the roster was acquired and went under The Dojo, with the trio finishing fourth at the 2023 Championship and eighth at the recent 2024 Split 1 Playoff. As the Split 2 NA Pro League just wrapped up its second week, two of the region’s most popular teams, DSG and Moist, are seeing some huge shifts to the roster. Moist will see the arrival of iiTzTimmy and see one of their players, Matthew “Emtee” Trengove transition to a coach — while DSG will now have a missing slot to fill. Announced by iiTzTimmy on his stream, he said, “I will be officially playing with Moist Esports. I will be playing with Gild and Wxltzy.” As explained by Timmy, Emtee stepped down as their third player and the team needed to fill in his slot, so they approached Timmy and he agreed to join them. “I want you to know that I do really care about Dezignful and Enemy,” Timmy said about his teammates at DSG. “They’re my f***ing boys, so I want you guys to continue giving them love and support. The move has yet to be publicly announced by DSG and Moist, however, DSG’s X (formerly Twitter) account made a post recognizing Timmy’s departure. Timmy’s announcement came after Dezignful put a call out for competitive players. Currently, both Moist and DSG sit at the bottom half of the table in the NA Split 2. Moist didn’t gain any points in their last game, with DSG only getting four points overall in their last two games. Both team’s fight to qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs isn’t over yet, as there still two more rounds until the Finals. Moist Esports had been struggling with visa issues, which resulted in the org having to drop their ALGS team during the Split 1 Playoff so they could attend the LAN, and are now suing US Immigration. Now that iiTzTimmy is part of Moist, it should make acquiring visas easier as it would make the roster mostly American.

Iconic Borderlands intro gets epic Apex Legends makeover – Dexerto
Iconic Borderlands intro gets epic Apex Legends makeover Respawn Entertainment / Gearbox SoftwareApex Legends might not have quite reached the popularity of the Borderlands franchise yet, but the idea of fusing both of these games together looks to be a very popular prospect indeed. Gearbox Software revealed a brand new Borderlands 3 trailer on April 3, as well announcing its release date, and it hasn’t taken fans long to start thinking about potential crossovers the game could get involved with. Fusing together both the iconic soundtrack from the original Borderlands intro and a number of Apex Legends characters who have established their own cult fanbases – such as Bloodhound, Bangalore, and others – one fan has managed to piece together an introduction video that will leave you pining for both worlds to clash in the future. Remaking Borderlands’ iconic intro with Apex Legends With Cage the Elephant’s ‘Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked’ playing in the background and some interesting shots of the legends’ finishers, the intro left a number of fans wanting more from this potential crossover in the future. The intro was posted to the Apex Legends subreddit by its creator, Reddit user McArctico, who claims to have put it together on his handheld device and admits – after some suggestions were pinged in his direction from other fans – that improvements could be made. Further crossover videos could be on the way While feedback was generally positive, though, some eagle-eyed fans of the game wanted to see a few more voice lines presented during the video, among other minor details that perhaps could have been included. “I will try to do it again, since I did it from my phone,” McArctico posted. “Thanks for the comments that gave ideas to improve it. I will keep everything in mind.” Nevertheless, the majority of the game’s online community were delighted by the effort, some fans asking for a collaboration between the two. Whether or not that would ever come to fruition is unknown, but it won’t stop people from thinking what it may look like if those from Kings Canyon and Pandora ever crossed paths.

Hysterical Apex Legends Season 2 parody trailer has fans in stitches – Dexerto
Hysterical Apex Legends Season 2 parody trailer has fans in stitches EAWith just days to go until Apex Legends Season 2, the hype is at an all-time high for the game and fans have shown their appreciation with a hilarious take on the its latest trailer. Respawn dropped a couple of trailers for fans to chew on as they wait for the start of Season 2, much to the delight of the fans. These same fans have decided to take one of the trailers and mash it up with numerous video game references and voice lines to give it some more pizazz. The fan trailer gets off quickly to a humorous start as it’s rated “M” for memes and says “Mozambique here” which is a reference to quite possibly the worst gun ever seen in a video game. Throughout the roughly two minute trailer, we get references to Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario, Mortal Kombat, just to name a few. Reactions to the trailer have been very positive so far, with many praising the amount of work that went into it. Reddit user Retrospect115 said it took two days to put the trailer together and even a Respawn developer shared their appreciation. “This was funny af,” he wrote. He wasn’t the only one who had something to say though, as other Reddit users gave their positive feedback. “My guy this is some quality work,” wrote Titanfall-Mormon. “The Wattson revive was perfect. 12/10 great content.” When does Season 2 begin? Apex Legends Season 2 kicks off on July 2, leaving players with just a matter of days before a whole slew of new content hits. Wattson, the L-Star LMG, new challenges, and a Battle Pass will all be coming with the season so stay tuned for that.

Hundreds of high ranked Apex Legends players just got banned for cheating – Dexerto
Hundreds of high ranked Apex Legends players just got banned for cheating Respawn/EASome of the highest-ranked players in Apex Legends have now been banned, falling victim to a ban wave that’s caught out almost 1000 cheaters and hackers in the last few weeks. Just like every other multiplayer game, Apex Legends has dealt with its fair share of problems with cheaters. In earlier seasons, cheaters and their hacks were much more prominent and would ruin pretty much every other game for top-ranked players. Over time, Respawn Entertainment have cracked down on cheaters. While it might be impossible to get rid of cheaters entirely, the developers have tried to clean up the highest level of ranked games, and some of the top-ranked players have now been banned in a brand-new ban wave from Respawn’s security lead Conor Ford, aka RSPN_Hideouts. Hundreds of Apex Legends ranked players caught in new ban wave On March 16, the Respawn security lead revealed that he’d swung the banhammer yet again, taking aim at players who had been cheating in Ranked games and climbed right to the very top – hitting the Apex Predator rank. “700+ accounts used for cheating in ranked (Gold-Pred) have been permanently banned since last Thursday,” Ford said. “This does not, and will not, include any accounts that used an infinite heat shield exploit. Love you all.” Apex fans quickly thanked the security lead for rooting out cheaters, while other quickly asked what platform these bans affected. “Only PC right now, console judgment is coming soon,” Ford added, no doubt striking fear into the heart of console cheaters. 700+ accounts used for cheating in ranked (Gold-Pred) have been permanently banned since last Thurdasy. This does not, and will not, include any accounts that used an infinite heat shield exploit. Love you all ♥️🔨 — Conor Ford / Hideouts (@RSPN_Hideouts) March 16, 2021 Only PC right now, console judgment is coming soon — Conor Ford / Hideouts (@RSPN_Hideouts) March 16, 2021 In terms of going after those who abused the Heat Shield exploit, Hideouts noted that permanent punishments will only be dished out to “hardcore abusers” and teased that “justice is coming” for them. However, as good a job as he does, it’s difficult to get everyone. Apex is a free game after all, and if cheaters want, they can simply make another account and carry on with their exploits. However, Ford is pretty relentless in his pursuit of cleaning things up.

Human aimbot shroud shows his Apex Legends movement is just as insane – Dexerto
Human aimbot shroud shows his Apex Legends movement is just as insane Respawn EntertainmentPopular streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has been dominating Apex Legends, proving once again that his talent is transferrable to any game he touches. A former professional CS:GO player, since retiring from pro play shroud has made his name as a streamer from his sheer talent in a variety of games. Particularly if it’s a first-person shooter, shroud viewers can reliably expect to be watching one of the best players on Twitch almost the moment he picks up a new game. As with most of Twitch’s top streamers, shroud has spent the week since the game’s release glued to Apex Legends, and he’s once again been demonstrating that he can turn his hand to anything. During a recent stream, shroud showed off his skills with an incredible clutch to secure the win. With the game down to the final three squads, shroud found himself the last man standing of his team, battling for survival amid two other groups. Though it’s his aim that’s particularly legendary, shroud’s talent clearly isn’t limited to clicking heads, and in this instance it was his movement that played a major part in securing victory. Forced to clutch the game out alone, shroud dodged, ducked, dipped, dived, and dodged his way among the buildings, miraculously staying alive and managing to isolate his enemies, eliminating them one by one with characteristic precision. The launch of Apex seems to have only boosted shroud’s already huge popularity. His streams on the game have amassed so many viewers that he’s even questioned whether he’s being viewbotted and encouraged his viewers to go and watch other streamers as well. Since the game’s release, shroud has on multiple occasions had over 100,000 concurrent viewers tune in to watch him pull off plays like this on the hot new title.

Respawn takes “huge steps” to crackdown on Apex Legends DDOS cheaters – Dexerto
Respawn takes “huge steps” to crackdown on Apex Legends DDOS cheaters Respawn EntertainmentRespawn revealed that they’re taking “huge steps” to address the DDoS situation plaguing Apex Legends, admitting they’re “just as frustrated as the players” amid a huge crackdown on hackers and cheaters. The Apex Legends developers have been at war with hackers and cheaters since day one. Not only do they use traditional cheats like aimbots and wallhacks, but they’ve also found ways to infiltrate player’s lobbies and stop them from connecting to the servers. Now, after countless ban waves and confirmation that they’re willing to take legal action against people who DDoS attack their servers, Respawn revealed they’re finally working on a solution. And it could come soon. Conor Ford, a developer in charge of the game’s security measures and dishing out bans, confirmed the news on social media. “The DDoS situation is being addressed as we speak by our very own @ricklesauceur,” he said. “It isn’t the easiest fix in the world, but huge steps are being made to take care of this. 31 abusers were shadowbanned today in the meantime.” He also explained that all the developers at Respawn “care” about the issue and are “just as frustrated as the players.” Respawn says DDoS attacks in #ApexLegends are being addressed, and 31 players were banned today for DDoS’ing, while the devs are working on a solution. “We care and are just as frustrated as the players.” — @RSPN_Hideouts — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) June 2, 2021 It’s wonderful news for Apex Legends players who have become increasingly frustrated and victimized by the recent surge of hackers. But despite being a step in the right direction, hackers and cheaters are a persistent mob and will always find ways to abuse the system. So, depending on how effective their measures are, it could end up being nothing more than a mere obstacle for them to overcome.

Huge Octane buff idea is exactly what he needs in Apex Legends Season 4 – Dexerto
Huge Octane buff idea is exactly what he needs in Apex Legends Season 4 Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends player has shared their suggestions for a buff to Octane, the adrenaline-fuelled legend who was added all the way back in Season One. Octane has grown to be one of Apex Legends’ most popular characters, as players enjoy his fast-paced gameplay. Despite being added in Season One, Octane has quickly caught up with and surpassed a number of the base legends in terms of popularity. However, as Apex turns one year old and its meta shifts, some players believe he needs an update to remain viable. With his current abilities, Octane’s stim allows him to move 30% faster for 6 seconds at the cost of 10 HP. However, the player’s recommendation is to buff every aspect of this. They propose the 30% increase lasting 8 seconds, as well as growing to a 40% increase in speed when running in a single direction. Similarly, they argue that Octane’s health recovery time should be halved. Currently, it takes 20 seconds for the 10 HP lost to be fully restored. However, the proposal from the player would cut this down to 10 seconds – a significant buff for Octane. However, not all the buffs proposed relate to Octane’s tactical stim shot ability. Improvements to his passive abilities would see Octane gain the ability to sprint while strafing, a feature that can only be improved by stocks for weapons. This would be complemented by the ability to shoot while sprinting, a feature that is not available for any legends in the game’s current build. Finally, in order to balance out the buffs, incoming damage to Octane would be increased by 5%. The player argues that their significant buffs would bring Octane back, making him a “valuable and effective” member of any squad. They point out that the buffs around shooting and strafing should probably only apply to certain weapon classes, as the idea of a sprinting Octane with an LMG would probably be far too strong. Regardless, there is no guarantee we’ll see any kind of buff to Octane, but it’s clear that fans are strong advocates of a stronger adrenaline-junkie.

Huge EVA-8 buff could make it the best shotgun in Apex Legends Season 14 – Dexerto
Huge EVA-8 buff could make it the best shotgun in Apex Legends Season 14 Apex Legends Season 14 is coming with a wealth of new balance changes, but one of the most drastic changes is an enormous set of buffs to the EVA-8 shotgun. Since the Mastiff was put into the care package in Season 13, the Peacekeeper has been the shotgun of choice for most players. With the Mozambique being able to take Hammerpoint Rounds (an attachment that increases damage against non-shielded enemies), the EVA-8 has also fallen out of favor for most Apex players. This previously mediocre weapon is getting a fire rate increase in Season 14 (both base and with a shotgun bolt attached), as well as two new attachment slots in the form of stocks and the Double Tap hop-up – an attachment that gives the EVA-8 a two-shot burst fire mode. Apex Legends Season 14 buff coming for EVA-8 The EVA-8 used to be heralded as one of the best weapons in Apex Legends, but, after a shotgun bolt fire rate nerf in Season 10 and the fire rate/pellet damage nerfs in Season 11, it’s not been very popular. All those nerfs combined with other shotguns getting buffed, the EVA-8 has been slowly but surely falling out of relevance. However, these buffs could seriously change that. While the fire rate buffs and double tap trigger are sure to help, the ability to attach a stock is surprisingly strong. Not only do stocks slightly reduce reload time, but they also reduce the amount of time it takes to holster and raise the weapon. Decreasing how long it takes to swap to the EVA will give it a unique strength in comparison to other options. Pro player reacts to shotgun buff Among early impressions of the EVA changes, few are more telling than those of Apex pro player Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb. In a tweet, they said: “I’m back.” Even if the EVA-8 doesn’t end up being the best shotgun in Apex Legends, these buffs will certainly make it a gun worth picking up going into Season 14.

Huge Apex Legends leak reveals closer look at multiple new legends – Dexerto
Huge Apex Legends leak reveals closer look at multiple new legends Respawn/EAA huge new Apex Legends leak has revealed a closer look at the batch of new legends that are set to be added in the coming seasons. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] When Apex Legends launched back in February of 2019, Respawn Entertainment confirmed that with each new season they release, a new Legend will also be added to the battle royale. As a result, we’ve seen new characters like Octane, Wattson, Loba, and Revenant shake up the meta, but in addition to those, there have been a whole host of leaked legends too. These legends range from early development, so just having a name, to those who look ready to be added. Previously, a pretty massive leak revealed that there are seven legends in line to be added over the coming seasons, however, a new leak has given players a closer look at how they’ll appear in-game. In-game look at leaked Apex Legends characters It comes from reliable leaker Biast12, who dropped a whole batch of screenshots regarding the upcoming legends – including those like Horizon, Valk, and Blisk. These were included in the previous leak, alongside names like Fuse and Ash, who also appear here, but there are also two new names mentioned – Gunzerker and Pariah. Neither of these two characters have an in-game model like the rest, and are represented by yellow and purple dummies. However, Gunzerker has been given the description of a ‘weapon’s enthusiast’ while Pariah doesn’t have a description. The previous leak only listed legend as either Offensive or Recon, but this hasn’t changed that with the legend descriptions. However, neither leak has managed to reveal the release schedule for these legends for the coming seasons, so it’s still a bit of a guessing game. All signs have pointed to Horizon being added in Season 7, though some players have suggested that Valk will be added in her place. Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see what Respawn has up their sleeve moving forward.

How wall-climbing in Apex Legends can trick your opponents – Dexerto
How wall-climbing in Apex Legends can trick your opponents Respawn EntertainmentThere’s a sneaky trick a lot of Apex Legends players have been using that can quickly turn the tide of a battle with a creative use for the wall climbing mechanic. Respawn gave its players a battle royale where creative movement goes highly rewarded, especially if you’re constantly mixing up your approach in a single engagement. A lot of the time, the way you maneuver around boulders, buildings and the overall battlefield can outright win you a fight. Wall-climbing is typically used to make that final leap over an edge, scale small barriers, or make a last-ditch escape. But it could also be used for offensive tactics that make great use of misdirection. Pros in the past like Brandon ‘Aceu’ Win have shown how wall-climbing can net a quick kill. Though it takes some practice and a bit of luck to pull off, it can be easily added to anyone’s arsenal. A gameplay clip from user ‘DSTRYT’ showed how simple it is to bait an eager opponent into a trap. In the opening moments of a match, the player started shooting at an opponent with nothing but a P2020. As anyone would assume, DSTRYT was an easy target to rush since they had nothing but a pistol to defend themselves with. That’s when our Pathfinder retreated behind a corner, knowing that the enemy Wattson would probably start the pursuit for what they thought would be an easy kill. Instead of running away, however, the player started climbing up the wall to nowhere. Though they didn’t have a ledge or second floor to climb on, the delay tactic allowed for two things: disappearing out of the opponent’s sight and letting the opponent push pass them leaving their back exposed. After landing, it was a simple matter of capping off the bamboozle with a kill added to their tally. Though it was a cheeky kill, we’ve seen numerous instances in Apex where aim and abilities are outdone by better positioning. Knowing about this tactic with wall-climbing can definitely let Apex Legends players snag a quick frag or prevent their own demise by knowing the signs of a bamboozle before it happens.

How to be a “useful potato” in Apex Legends if you’re not very good – Dexerto
How to be a “useful potato” in Apex Legends if you’re not very good Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has come up with the perfect plan for how players can still be useful during matches, even if they’re skill level isn’t that high. Just as with almost every online multiplayer game, Apex Legends has its fair share of players that are simply not that good at the game. Jokingly referred to as “potatoes,” these players lack the skills that their higher-tier counterparts have, such as the ability to consistently hit shots, make the right decisions, and do what is required to outplay opponents. However, just because these lower-skilled players don’t have game-changing potential, that doesn’t mean they can’t be useful for their team. With this idea in mind, Reddit user ‘TILLALLR1’ has come up with a guide for how “potatoes” can be useful in Apex Legends. Improve your looting speed and habits Looting is a very important aspect of Apex Legends, and lesser-skilled players need to make sure they sharpen their habits and the speed with which they loot. For one, players should never try to loot the same buildings as their teammates, as anything valuable with likely either have already been picked up or gotten pinged. Looting quickly ensures that the team is ready to move as soon as possible, so there’s no need to comb through entire buildings. This same concept applies to looting death boxes – simply get what you need quickly and get moving. Stick with teammates instead of engaging enemies When noticing a fight happening, it’s important for players who aren’t as skilled to locate their teammates and get into fights together, rather than trying a heroic solo play that will likely not succeed. This applies even more so when there are higher-tier players on the team, as the best strategy is to stick with them as closely as possible and only engage enemies when they start to do so. This is because better players will have a stronger game sense, and will know the best situations and positions from which to attack enemies. If lower-skilled players try to do things their way, all it’s going to likely do is mess up the team’s chances of winning. Team shooting is a formula for winning While the top players are able to take down multiple enemies and even squads by themselves, most lesser players won’t be able to come close to that kind of ability. As a result, those players should instead focus on shooting at enemy players that their teammates are also shooting it, as the combined barrage of fire from a whole team will almost always knock down enemies. The best approach to this is using weapons such as the R-301, Spitfire, R-99 and Devotion, as opposed to weapons like Peacekeeper and Wingman, which are powerful on paper but not kind to those who don’t have good aim.

How to get your first Apex Legends win – Dexerto
How to get your first Apex Legends win Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends was released on February 4 and there are still players running around Kings Canyon searching for their first victory on the game. So, we thought we would put together an easy guide to help you make it happen. There are a number of top tips that can be very useful to use in Apex Legends – varying from everything to running, awareness, shooting and much more. It’s all about getting the basics right before stretching yourself too far. After all, you’re not going to read one guide and suddenly become as good as shroud, but we can definitely set you on the right path. Five Top Tips So, let’s get started with a few simple things that you can do to improve your play style. Land together: The landing system in Apex Legends allows three teammates to stick together both in the sky and on the ground. Players should stick quite close together, but branch off slightly to allow each player to have enough loot in the early stages in order to make them competitive. Nobody likes running around without a weapon and you can prevent that very easily. – Movement is key: There’s nothing easier than eliminating a player that’s standing still. Look at all of the best battle royale players, they’re always on the move. Use movement to your advantage, flank around enemies when you spot them and give yourself the best possible chance to secure an elimination. – Callouts: You’re always going to be playing in a team of three and communication is a key part of a successful team. If you can see a player or if somebody is approaching you, give your teammates co-ordinates and specific directions. “He’s over there” is not going to be very helpful, but pointing out a key location or a nearby feature of the map might help them come over faster to help. It’s so important to have everybody on the same page. – Take gunfights: You’re not going to improve in Apex Legends by hiding from enemies, camping and grinding your way to the latter stages of a match. Take the fight to players and start building up your tactical awareness in the process. – Loot enemies for all they’ve got: Players will be dropping across Kings Canyon. When you get an elimination, make sure you’re looting everything they have. This will allows you to get a feel for the best weapons, equipment and the much-needed shields too. Don’t waste Shield Cells reparing your own Armor, just pick somebody else’s up instead. – Play with different Legends While these tips will start you off on the right path, it’s mostly about having confidence and knowing how you want to play – as a team. It’s not about individuals. Start to familiarize yourself with the different legends in the game, because they all have different abilities that could give you the cutting edge that you’ll need to pick up a victory. If you don’t know how to use an ability and another player does, that gives them an instant advantage. Our full guide for Apex Legends characters and their abilities might be very helpful for this. Get to know the best weapons There are a wide selection of guns and equipment in Apex Legends, many of which can be found in our full weapons guide, but don’t fret… We’ll be giving you a full run through of the best below. The following three weapons would be good starter weapons to pick from. Peacekeeper: While Dr Disrespect might disagree, this shotgun is undoubtedly one of the best weapons to start with. It’s very powerful and is very common to find – pretty much everything you want. Give it a try. – Flatline: This gun is a straight fire mid-range gun with hardly any recoil and it can be amazing to use – especially for people just starting out. It only has 20 bullets in its clip, which can be extended with an attachment, but that is the only downside. Other than that, it’s a well rounded weapon and is very effective when just tapping with it. – EVA-8 Auto: Another shotgun, but this type of weapon is ideal for new players that need to jump right into gun fights. How to win Shadowfall LTM in Apex Legends without firing a bullet – Dexerto
How to win Shadowfall LTM in Apex Legends without firing a bullet The Shadowfall limited time mode (LTM) is one of the biggest draws for Apex Legends players and some of them have even found a way of picking up victories without firing a single bullet in action. The LTM was introduced as part of the battle royale game’s Fight or Fright event, with a night time of Kings Canyon the setting for the new mode. While some fans are finding it terrifyingly difficult to leave the arena victorious, that doesn’t mean to say that everybody is struggling, as a newly discovered tactic has certainly got members of the game’s online community talking. In principle, there are 35 solo players jumping into a match of Shadowfall each time, with two teams being formed over the course of the game – Legends and a Shadow Squad. Once a player is eliminated, they respawn as part of the undead Shadow Squad, stripped from the use of weapons, but armed with a deadly melee. From there, the two teams will battle it out until there are just 10 Legends remaining, before the two outfits compete to leave the mode on the Evac ship, which spawns late into the game. While that all sounds pretty difficult, one Reddit user – Mathishian29 – has discovered one spot that can make things so much simpler, but it does require a bit of camping. Using Pathfinder’s zip line ability to hoist themselves aloft, the player manages to find themselves hidden with some high ground, before waiting over 10 minutes for the Evac ship to come around. Once it does, they simply zip line over to it and leave as a champion. Aside from this technique, you can also check out our best tips and tricks for winning in Apex Legends’ Shadowfall, which should be quite handy for both experienced players and those who haven’t really played the LTM too much since it was introduced on October 15. The event is set to run right through to November 5, meaning that solos will have quite a considerable time to carve out their first win – or more – before the door slams shut on Shadowfall. Will you choose to hide your way to the final moments of a match like this, or are you going to scratch, claw and earn the right to be a champion?

How to watch Dr Disrespect’s Code Red Apex Legends tournament ft Ninja, summit1g, and more – Streams, Brackets, Format – Dexerto
How to watch Dr Disrespect’s Code Red Apex Legends tournament ft Ninja, summit1g, and more – Streams, Brackets, Format Dr Disrespect‘s next Code Red tournament will be played in Apex Legends for the very first time, where streamers will compete for a $20,000 grand prize. Here’s how you can watch it. The popular streamer made the announcement on February 13, on the back of placing fifth in the first Apex Legends Twitch Rivals tournament – with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ team scooping the $8,000 prize. However, The Doc has gone one step further by revealing that the return of his popular Code Red tournament won’t feature Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Blackout game mode. Instead, it will be hosted by Respawn’s new popular battle royale game. How to watch The first Code Red tournament will take place on February 15 and is set to begin at 1pm PST / 4pm EST / 9pm GMT. You can watch the tournament on its official EsportsArena Twitch channel (below) or head over to the individual livestreams of each streamer during the tournament. Dr Disrespect’s channel, as the host of the competition, will also be a good place to see the action as he often provides updates as things unfold. Official Stream: Watch live video from EsportsArena on www.twitch.tvDr Disrespect / Host stream: Watch live video from DrDisrespect on www.twitch.tvFormat Dr Disrespect has staged many of these Code Red tournaments in the past, but Apex Legends doesn’t offer the same options as Fortnite or Call of Duty – as teams usually compete in pairs. Therefore, with Apex Legends featuring odd-numbered squads of three, this tournament will feature heavy use of public lobbies like what was seen during the recent Twitch Rivals tournament. The key difference being that all eight teams will be placed into a double-elimination bracket with head-to-head matchups rather than having all eight teams cram as many games into a set period of time as possible. Each match will see the trios matched against one another in three separate games. The trio tallying the most kills over the course of the three games being named the winner. If the kill count is tied after three games, a fourth map will be played to determine the winner. If the score is still tied after that fourth game, the team who dealt the most damage during the fourth map will advance. If damage is somehow tied, the teams will play a fifth map until one team tallies more damage than the other. For the Grand Final, the team coming from the Losers Final will have to win two matches, while the team coming from the Winners Final only has to win one match. The points will be given out as follows: Wins = 8 points per win – Kills = 1 point per kill – Live bracket and teams Like every Code Red tournament, the February 15 Apex Legends tournament will feature some of the biggest names on Twitch. The trios are as follows: Dr Disrespect, Viss, RealKraftyy – goldglove, ernie, di3sel – joshOG, summit1g, Buhhbye – HighDistortion, tennp0, wantedow – chocTaco, vsnz, HusKerrs – Nick Eh 30, Ghost Enzo, Avxry – Ninja, Dizzy, KingRichard – Trainwreckstv, LyndonFPS, Rogue – If you’d like to follow along with results in real-time, be sure to head over to the live tournament bracket for updates after each round. The trailer’s cover image and teaser clip have fueled those suspicions by showing off a bright blue eye — quite similar to Dr. Reid’s. We’ll have to wait and see, but all signs seem to indicate that Ash will finally be joining Apex Legends as a playable character next season. How to watch Apex Legends stream at EA Play: schedule & what to expect – Dexerto
How to watch Apex Legends stream at EA Play: schedule & what to expect EA[jwplayer cgdaanpd]There will be a presentation made for Apex Legends at EA Play Live 2020, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up on everything there is to know so that you don’t miss a second of it. EA Play is one of the more highly-anticipated gaming events every year, as Electronic Arts give fans a glimpse as to what lays ahead in their vast array of popular titles. Considering that Apex Legends is one of their more prized games, the publishers will be revealing new content for the battle royale, as well as making some announcements to “unearth what’s next” for the game. Be sure to tune in to EA Play Live this Thursday, June 18, at 4PM PT to unearth what’s next for Apex Legends. We’ll see you there. 😉😉 👀 : https://t.co/4UJFwuhsR4 pic.twitter.com/u2qV7taNOa — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) June 16, 2020 When is the Apex Legends EA Play stream? The Apex Legends portion of the event will be kicking off at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET on Thursday, June 18 (12:00 AM BST on June 19). It will be broadcast live on EA’s official Twitch channel, which we’ve included below for your convenience. What to expect from Apex Legends at EA Play Crypto Town Takeover A mysterious teaser that appeared in Apex Legends on June 16 has a lot of players convinced the next major in-game event will be a Town Takeover themed after the Season 3 Legend. If that is indeed the case, then it’s very likely that it’ll be announced during the livestream, with the developers giving details about when the event will take place and what it might include. There hasn’t been much released since the launch of Season 5, so something like this could be exactly what the players are waiting for, as Town Takeovers are usually jam-packed with new content. PS5 & Xbox Series X release With most details about the PS5 and Xbox Series X already having been announced, many Apex Legends players will be curious to know what the plans are for the battle royale as gaming transitions to next-generation consoles. Epic Games have already revealed that info for Fortnite, so it shouldn’t be long until Respawn and EA do the same, and this event will be the perfect opportunity to at least give fans an update on the matter – even if all the final decisions haven’t been made. Of course, regardless if an announcement is made or not, everyone will already be assuming that the game will be released on the new platforms at some point, although it might not happen until 2021. Steam release There is heavy speculation, based on leaks that surfaced back in May, that Apex will be released on Steam very soon, giving players an additional option to download the game from apart from the Origin launcher. It’s been well documented that EA stopped selling their newly-released titles on Steam several years ago in favor of Origin, but that could be changing soon – at least when it comes to the battle royale. There are rumors that this announcement is set to be part of the showcase at EA Play, which makes sense, since it would be the ideal opportunity for it, so we’ll just have to wait and see if the murmurs are true. So this got added in the files, name: “”v_charm_valve_potato”” this could hint to something with valve or maybe steam pic.twitter.com/zuGnMZ5nmd— Biast12 (@Biast12) May 14, 2020 Mobile and/or Nintendo Switch release This one might be more of a stretch than the previous two, but some people believe that there could be a surprise announcement regarding Apex finally being released on handheld platforms like the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. This has been something that a lot of players have asked for since the game’s release, and even EA themselves directly mentioned their plans to develop a mobile port during an earnings call back in January. While there’s nothing that concretely supports the speculation that this will be announced at EA Play 2020, we have to take into account that this is the publisher’s biggest event of the year, so major news such as this would be something they’d probably want to reveal during the proceedings. Of course, there is already a way to play Apex Legends on Android devices via the Nvidia GeForce Now cloud gaming service, although this is strictly the PC version of the game and not a standalone mobile release. Of course, we will be bringing any and all major Apex Legends news announced at EA Play to you, so make sure to follow us on Twitter @TitanfallBlog for regular updates.

Watch new Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands for Fuse: Good as Gold – Dexerto
Watch new Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands for Fuse: Good as Gold Respawn Entertainment/EARespawn Entertainment has announced that Good as Gold, a brand new entry in the Apex Legends: Stories from the Outlands series of shorts will premiere on Monday, January 18, 2021. Apex Legends is only weeks away from its eighth season, scheduled to launch on February 2, which means it’s time for the developers to tease the new Legend who will join the roster. Respawn Entertainment has confirmed the next entry in the Stories from the Outlands, titled Good as Gold. Fuse’s Stories from the Outlands Respawn has confirmed the latest Stories from the Outlands will go live on January 18 at 8AM PT. The episode should give us some background on Fuse, the next character set to join Apex’s roster of legends. Hopefully, the video will give us an idea of why he’s joining the Apex games and which other legends he’s connected to in the lore. You can watch the episode below when it’s live: For international timezones, the video will go live at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM GMT / 5pm CEST / 1AM JST. We know that the video will be 4:19 long, which isn’t quite as long as some previous episodes, but still leaves plenty of time for a lot of lore to be revealed. Horizon’s Promise episode was very similar in length, at 4:13. Stories from the Outlands: Good as Gold The short begins with a flashback section of Fuse and his childhood friend finding a golden grenade held by the skeleton of an old Salvo freedom fighter. By the looks of it, this represents a pact between the two that symbolizes their destiny to become freedom fighters and their war against Syndicate. The flashback continues, showing the pair growing up as freedom fighters and taking on members of Syndicate. We’re then transported into real-time where Fuse’s friend finds out that Salvo has joined Syndicate and Fuse intends to join the Apex games. This leads to an altercation between the two where the pin is pulled out of the golden grenade, resulting in Fuse losing his right arm. The short ends with Fuse leaving the burning building and his friend behind, seemingly heading to the Apex games to compete. This sets up an interesting backstory for Apex’s latest Legend and his motives for joining the Apex Games. Luckily for us, there isn’t too long to wait as Season 8 goes live on February 2.

Now, she’s back to get revenge on Revenant, who killed her parents when she was a girl. While we don’t know what her abilities will officially be, previous leaks suggested that they will follow the character’s themes of thievery and stealth, which should add a nice twist to the Apex Games. Season Quests Along with Season 5, developers will also be introducing Season Quests, a new way for players to earn rewards: “Hunt for treasure and answers in the new Season Quest. Those who complete the journey will be richly rewarded.” It’s not clear yet how these Quests will work, but we should find out more information about what objectives they will require during the Launch Trailer. The gameplay trailer should provide a glimpse at her entire kit so that we can, once and for all, know what powers she’ll have in Fortune’s Favor. Map changes We already know that Skull Town is more than likely going to be destroyed, but there is still a lot of mystery as to what both World’s Edge and Kings Canyon will look like in Season 5. TSM win ALGS Championship 2023: Final standings and scores – Dexerto
TSM win ALGS Championship 2023: Final standings and scores Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSThe ALGS 2023 Championship has come to an end in Birmingham, with TSM coming out on top in dramatic fashion. Here is all you need to know about the biggest Apex Legends event of the year. All of a sudden, TSM swept in and took the trophy. For most of the eight-round Finals, they looked like mere spectators as teams like OpTic, DreamFire, and BLVKHVND became match point eligible. But then, in true TSM fashion, they stepped up when it mattered the most and won three matches in a row to re-establish themselves as the No.1 team in the world. Heading into the event, one of the biggest talking points was if Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen was the GOAT of Apex Legends or if that crown belonged to DarkZero’s Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry, who had won back-to-back trophies in 2022 and looked like favorites for this tournament after taking the Split 2 title. With DarkZero falling short on Saturday, the path was wide open for ImperialHal and the rest of the TSM to win the title, though they were made to work hard for it. “I had a wish, being the greatest player alive and winning in front of my family. I have checked those boxes,” ImperialHal said after the match. “I feel amazing. Everything we put in, as a team, individually, everything. It all paid off. First, second, first for the year. I’ve got no regrets.” The ALGS 2023 Championship cemented North America’s place at the top of the Apex Legends scene, with four teams in the top five, including The Dojo. Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An’s team, which came through the last-chance qualifier, surpassed even the wildest expectations as it finished in fourth place and pocketed $170,000. Below is everything you need to know about the ALGS 2023 Championship. Contents ALGS Championship 2023: Format The format for the tournament is the same as last year, and is almost identical to the formats for the Split 1 and Split 2 Playoffs. The ALGS Championship 2023 will use a group stage with a double-elimination bracket format. For the group stage, teams will be seeded into four groups of 10 based on Playoff Points earned throughout the season, or their LCQ tournament performance. Each group will play a single six-match series against every other group, totaling 18 matches per team. After the group stage, teams will be seeded in the bracket stage based on their performance. The top 20 group stage teams will go into the winner’s bracket and the bottom 20 into the loser’s bracket. There will be one eight-game series for the winner’s bracket and two for the loser’s bracket. The top 10 teams from the winner’s bracket series will advance to the finals while the rest will filter down into the loser’s bracket. Ten more teams will qualify from the first loser’s bracket series and the final 10 will come from the second series. The finals of the 2023 ALGS Championship will use a match point format. Once a team reaches 50 points in the finals, they will become “match point eligible” and the first team to win a match after they are eligible wins the tournament. There is no limit to the number of teams that can be eligible and there is no match limit for the finals. ALGS Championship 2023: Schedule The ALGS Championship took place from September 6-10, with the group stage taking place over the first two days, followed by the bracket stage for the next two days. The tournament culminated with the finals on the last day of competition. ALGS Championship 2023: Final standings Finals: September 10 Finals (11:00 am ET/ 4:00 pm BST) Winner based on placement. Team HisWattson wins $50k Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Showdown 4: Results & recap Respawn/EA/TwitchTwitch Rivals and Apex Legends have teamed up for another installment of their popular tournaments, with a $50,000 prize pool on the line. This time, it was rising star HisWattson and his gang that took out the main prize — here’s how it went down. With Apex Legends Season 13 quickly coming to a conclusion, fans of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale haven’t gone long before the devs shake up the meta again with a round of legend buffs and nerfs. As the ALGS is taking a backseat with the season over, it creates space for community-run events to take place — and that’s exactly what happened with Twitch Rivals NA Showdown 4. With $50,000 on the line, 60 big names in the Apex and wider streaming space fought it out for some decent cash. And although some may say he was snubbed in Raleigh, HisWattson took it home with his squad — Extesyy and Keon — off the back of two wins in the lobby. TiffaJessi and Verhulst’s squads rounded out the podium, with big names like iiTzTimmy, Albralelie, and former TSM star Snip3down in the top 10. As for the CEO of Apex Legends ImperialHal? He finished 10th with HusKerrs and Xednim. Catch up on all the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends NA Showdown 4 results here. How to watch $50k TSM Summer Invitational with Apex Legends pros & streamers – Dexerto
How to watch $50k TSM Summer Invitational with Apex Legends pros & streamers TSMTSM’s Apex Legends Invitational series is back with the Summer 2023 edition. Here’s what you need to know, including the players competing and how and when to watch the action. TSM kicked off their invitational series back in 2022, with a $100k tournament featuring a handful of top pros mixed in with streaming talents. EA & Respawn have supported the tournaments, which provide a break from the hardcore ALGS competition that makes up the bulk of the Apex esports calendar. For the Summer 2023 tournament, teams will be motivated by a $50,000 prize pool, but the games themselves have a number of LTM-like rule changes in place, such as Snipers & Shotguns only, or Pistols only. There are also no set teams – instead, players are placed into a pool based on their region, and the trios are shuffled after every 2 games. TSM Summer Invitational stream The tournament begins on June 27, with the first match expected to start at 1:30 pm PT / 4:30 pm ET / 9:30 pm BST. The matches will be streamed with casters on the TSM Twitch channel, but you can also expect many of the participants to be streaming their POV on their own streams. Providing the cast on the main stream will be Andrew and Judy from His and Hers Live. Format The format for this event is slightly more complex than in previous Invitationals. In total, there will be six games played, with points awarded for placement and kills. However, some of the games will have a unique ruleset: Game 1: Standard Rules – Game 2: Snipers & Shotguns only – Game 3: Standard Rules – Game 4: Pistols Only – Game 5: Standard Rules – Game 6: No Weapons, Vantage and Rampart – Rather than an overall winner after all of the games, prize money will be distributed based on each team’s performance in each game. Top 3: $3,000 – 4-6th: $2,100 – 7-9th: $1,500 – 10-12th: $1,200 – TSM Invitational teams As mentioned, there are no set teams. Instead, there are four pools of players: NA pros, EMEA pros, NA streamers, and EMEA streamers. From these pools, the trios will be shuffled after the second game and again after the fourth game. Each team will consist of one NA or EMEA pro player, one NA streamer and one EMEA streamer. Although this tournament is just for fun, with wacky rulesets, some pro players will still be keen to make sure it’s valuable time spent, as they continue to scrim in preparation for the $1 million ALGS Split 2 playoffs in only a few weeks’ time.

How to wall run in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to wall run in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA new movement mechanic has been discovered in Apex Legends, allowing players to effectively wall run with any character, taking inspiration from Respawn’s other title, Titanfall. When Apex Legends first launched, there was some disappointment among Titanfall fans that the battle royale game wouldn’t feature wall-running, jetpacks or Titans. The developers explained that they had dabbled with these features, but after testing, decided they didn’t work well for the battle royale experience. However, that hasn’t stopped some dedicated Apex players from finding a way to use the game’s natural movement mechanics to wall run, even if only for short distances. The trick makes use of the climbing feature in Apex, which allows players to scale small buildings. By turning your aim slightly off-angle, and pretty much running backwards as you hit the wall, your character will stick to it for a few seconds. The most useful part is the large jump that is granted when jumping out of the wall run motion, which can actually be put to good use in-game. YouTuber The Gaming Merchant provides a full explanation: How to Wall Run in Apex It’s important to first slide and jump onto the wall, and then use your aim and movement keys to keep momentum. A step-by-step guide for wall running in Apex Legends: Sprint towards a wall – Slide and then jump onto the wall – Turn your aim slightly to face the wall, while running in the opposite direction – At the end of the wall run, jump while turning your aim the direction you’re jumping. – The Gaming Merchant does note that using Revenant is not the best choice, because he cannot perform the wall jump like other legends. Many advanced Apex Legends players are already aware of the wall jumping trick in isolation, but the YouTuber shows that combining it with a wall run is for more effective, as more momentum is built up. The technique might not have been totally intended by the developers, but it simply uses the mechanics naturally in the game, and is not an exploit. It does require some practice, though, and it’s recommended to get used to the timing and the movement in the firing range area, before attempting it in a real game setting.

How to wall jump in Apex Legends to greatly increase mobility – Dexerto
How to wall jump in Apex Legends to greatly increase mobility Respawn EntertainmentPlayers dropping into a match of Apex Legends understand that crisp and diverse movement can be the difference between life or death, but not many have been making full use of the game’s wall jumping mechanic. Respawn Entertainment launched their battle royale with an incredible cast of characters who each bring their own twist to King’s Canyon. Since the game’s February 4 release, players have been finding the best tricks and strats to improve their games. Although wall jumping has been in the game since the beginning, a lot of players haven’t been fully utilizing the technique. By not doing so, they’re not using a whole tool in their arsenal to get the better of their opponents. How to wall jump in Apex Legends In a video, YouTuber ‘Mokeysniper’ made a compilation of how to perfect long and purposeful strides off most vertical surfaces while competing in the Apex Games. Sprint toward a “blank wall” – Slide – Jump – Let go of “Forward” – Jump the moment you make contact with the wall – No two wall jumps are the same, and the YouTuber showed how to get a greater leap off the wall using some movement. As soon as the player gets out of their slide and jumps to toward the wall, “as soon as you leave the ground move into the direction you want to travel.” While the YouTuber admitted that the wall jumping is certainly “niche,” the movement Mokeysniper displays in his video is impressive and would make anyone a harder target to gun down. (Timestamp at 1:11 for mobile viewers) Movement is crucial in Apex Legends Apex Legends is a fantastic battle royale that uses solid shooting mechanics, but upon launch some fans noted how clunky the movement could sometimes feel. Since then players have been finding all sorts of techniques to move around King’s Canyon more effectively and creatively by bunny hopping, getting the faster drop speed at the start of a match, and so much more. Outgunning an opponent is the best case scenario to win out in the Apex Games, but when caught in a dire situation mixing up your movement will make it more challenging to take you down. Mastering every technique in Apex Legends like wall jumping could definitely help out to keep players in the game for a lot longer.

How to wall bounce in Apex Legends for major advantages in combat – Dexerto
How to wall bounce in Apex Legends for major advantages in combat Respawn EntertainmentWall jumping or bouncing has long been a mechanic in Apex Legends, but recent highlight plays have reinforced how important it is to take advantage of. Like most FPS titles, aim and positioning are key to Apex Legends. Unlike most shooters, the mobility is absolutely absurd in Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale, and mastering all of the movement techs can help players soar through the ranks. While you won’t immediately hit the Predator tier by understanding how to wall bounce, it will give you a literal leg up, and away, on the competition. The mechanic has existed since the game’s inception, but it’s worth refreshing for those who are new to the title in Season 5, or for those who have just decided that they want to be able to enact a modicum of Loba’s teleportation ability with any hero. By wall bouncing, players can accomplish two things simultaneously: they make it harder for opponents to hit them while potentially finding a new angle that makes it easier to land shots on said opponents. How to wall bounce Wall bouncing or jumping in Apex Legends requires five separate steps, that must be performed in rapid succession for the tech to work properly. Sprint towards a wall – Slide as you near the wall – Jump out of the slide – Stop holding forward toward the wall – Jump again the moment you touch the wall – As shown in a recent clip by Reddit user ‘liammcarthy000,’ a wall bounce can give you both vertical and horizontal lift—akin to an impromptu Octane jump pad. In their clip, they use the bounce in what should have already been a victory, but the mechanic is so clean that the match win was simply ensured by their repositioning. In the highlight, they’re able to easily take a different angle behind the remaining opponent and seal the victory without any need for their teammates to get involved. Apex Legends may already be insanely mobile, but understanding wall bounces simply ramps up players’ potential in combat.

How to use zip lines to ‘super jump’ in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use zip lines to ‘super jump’ in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has shared a way to use zip lines to “super jump” in King’s Canyon, showing it as an incredibly effective method of getting high ground, without having to manually mantle. Apex Legends offers users a number of ways to traverse around the map, including interaction with a number of ‘Balloons’ that allow players to glide, and unique mantling mechanics that enable players to climb nearly every structure in the game. However, the best move yet might be a little known trick – using zip lines to perform a “super jump”, as this player shows how effective it can be to regain high ground over opponents. Reddit user u/maydeelol demonstrates that if you interact with a zip line and jump immediately, it results in the player being thrown upwards. This can, if done in the right situation, act as a shortcut to getting high ground, giving the player a positional advantage over their opponent. In the clip attached, the player knocks one enemy while inside a building, before repositioning by ‘super jumping’ onto the roof of the same hut. They are then in a prime position to laser the opposing team’s other members, who are not prepared for such a rapid reposition. The overwhelming majority of Reddit users were grateful at the sharing of the tactic, but some were concerned that it’s an unintentional exploit, similar to the now-patched “bunny hop healing”. It is not uncommon for players to come across movement glitches in games, such as the aforementioned bunny hop. Another prominent example was the ‘G-Slide’ mechanic in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, that enabled players to launch themselves forward in a way that not intended by the developers, and was a key movement feature in the competitive scene until it was patched a few months after release. Whether intentional or not, the use of zip lines to allow “super jumps” is incredibly useful, and can benefit players in a number of ways.

How to use Wraith’s ‘Void’ ability to scout out enemies in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Wraith’s ‘Void’ ability to scout out enemies in Apex Legends Wraith’s ‘Into the Void’ Tactical ability is often used to scurry out of a dangerous situation in Apex Legends, but there is more to her inter-dimensional shifting than meets the eye. Wraith is the most popular choice of Legend among the battle royale’s diverse roster of characters. Given her low profile, small hitbox (relative to other Legends) and movement speed, it should come as no surprise why she’s the number one pick for the majority. The Interdimensional Skirmisher also rocks a solid set of abilities, which each support her ability to evade danger by utilizing the safety of void space. However, while Wraith’s abilities are typically used to escape treacherous situations, entering the void also gives you an ability that rivals Pathfinder’s scouting proficiency, as one Reddit user pointed out. Posted to the Apex Legends’ subreddit, the player shows how when another Wraith shifts into void space at the same time, their location can be spotted. While this only shows fellow teammates performing simultaneous inter-dimensional shifts, another user commented on how this ability can be used to spot any enemy in void space (i.e., traveling using Dimensional Rift Ultimate ability). “A dude won the game by throwing an Arc Star, going into the void and then seeing the other Wraith (last person on the other team alive) behind a Death Box and shooting her for the win. It was pretty crazy.” Of course, deploying either Wraith’s Tactical or Ultimate ability purely to scout out enemies would require practice. Since its use is situational and there is an element of timing involved, this is something only the more experienced Wraith players would be able to utilize efficiently. While on the surface this appears to just have in-game applications, it also confirms that players are shifting into only one alternate dimension/reality when using void space (as opposed to flirting between several dimensions). Although the Voidwalker harnesses her void manipulation to run riot in the Apex Games, this newfound quirk within her abilities proves that Wraith really is a jack of all trades.

How to use Vantage’s Echo tactical with other Legends abilities in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Vantage’s Echo tactical with other Legends abilities in Apex Legends Respawn/EAVantage’s winged companion, Echo, can provide some abilities with a helpful boost in Apex Legends, making them stronger than ever. Here’s what you need to know. The start of Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted marked the arrival of one of the most highly-anticipated legends in quite some time – Vantage. The Survivalist Sniper has already made her mark on the Apex Games by shooting to the top of the pick rate charts and proving to be an annoyance for some legends to play against, most notably, Mirage due to her Sniper’s Mark and Spotter’s Lens abilities. On top of those two, she is also accompanied by Echo, a winged companion that gives Vantage the chance to jump to different positions in a flash. Though, Echo has a few more uses than that as it stands. All abilities that can combine with Echo in Apex Legends Yes, Echo might look and be pretty small in the Apex Games, but Vantage’s trusty companion is pretty might when it comes to carrying things on his back. As players have found, Echo has can be combined with a few abilities and survival items, including Heat Shields, Horizon’s Black Hole Ultimate, and Lifeline’s D.O.C Health Drone. All you have to do is place Echo down, toss the ability towards him, and then you’ll be off to the races. And yes, the abilities can all be moved around using the relocation ability, so it makes things pretty powerful for Vantage. Horizon’s Black Hole – Lifeline’s D.O.C Health Drone – Health Shields – As we’ve seen previously with Crypto’s Drone and the Trident vehicles, players are more than capable of finding unintended interactions and making things a little more powerful than they should be. We’re still trying to get over Mad Maggie’s riot drill being flown around with flames flying everywhere. If things get too out of hand with these interactions, then you can be sure that Respawn will step in and take them away. But, for now, enjoy these.

How to use the Wingman in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & attachments – Dexerto
How to use the Wingman in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & attachments Respawn EntertainmentThere is an incredible selection of weapons to use in Apex Legends, but one of the most satisfying is the Wingman. The question is, how can you master it? Despite its small size, the Wingman is capable of delivering some truly dizzying damage numbers. However, unlike the game’s fully automatic weapons, the Wingman requires a little more precision when placing those all-important head and bodyshots. This punchy pistol also has a decent amount of recoil as well, which does make it a little more difficult to control. And, now that the Wingman runs Sniper ammo, landing those shots is more important than ever. Apex Legends Wingman damage stats While the Wingman might be classified as a revolver, it does offer some ludicrous damage per shot. This is particularly true when you manage to land those 2x headshot multipliers. Of course, landing headshots can be rather tricky when your foe is constantly moving around, so it’s often best to go for cranium kills when your target is more sedentary. Read More: When is Apex Legends Season 9? – The full damage breakdown for the Wingman can be found below. Wingman Mag attachments The Wingman’s magazine size is relatively small and even with a purple/gold Mag, you still only have nine rounds to play with. Of course, this shouldn’t matter too if you focus on landing headshots. However, if you don’t have the accuracy to confirm head or body shots, then it’s best to simply switch to another gun entirely. If you plan on unleashing as much damage as possible without having to reload every second, then you’ll want to try finding a purple Mag attachment. Below you can see the number of rounds each mag rarity will give you. Stock: 6 – White Mag: 7 – Blue Mag: 8 – Purple/Gold Mag: 9 – Wingman optic attachments Here are the optics that can be equipped to the Wingman: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 2x Variable Holo – 1x Digital Threat – Picking the right Hop-Up There are two Hop-Up options with the Wingman, and you can only run one of them. While it’s good to take whatever you get, knowing what each hop-up does and which one suits your playstyle is important. Skullpiercer Rifling Skullpiercer is back for Season 14, albeit not quite as broken as it was in the early days of Apex when the Wingman was the highest damage weapon in the game. This Hop-Up is sought after by most players who regularly run the Wingman, and for good reason. Skullpiercers almost guarantee a 2 shot kill on any target. Unless they’ve got a purple helmet and full purple armor or better, the Wingman will make quick work of any target in an ideal situation. In the hands of an extremely skilled player, Skullpiercer Rifling is always the way to go. Boosted Loader Boosted Loader is more useful than you’d think on the Wingman. On the Hemlok, the only other weapon that takes this Hop-Up, it already has a pretty large magazine size. But the Wingman hugely benefits from both the speedy reload and the additional magazine size. Once you get the hang of reloading at the right time and taking advantage of this Hop-Up, it’s the better option for the Wingman unless you’re an absolute crack shot. Skullpiercers sound great in theory, but only work if you’re actually landing headshots. Boosted Loader should be your go-to if you like nonstop fighting and aren’t too worried about lining up headshots, or if you’re still learning this weapon and want a bit of a safety net if you miss a few shots in a tense gunfight. Aim movement with Wingman Quite often you will see gunfights that are frantic. Both players jumping around, moving side to side and those can be tricky situations if you get caught up in the speed of it all. However, sometimes standing firm and making small flicks to the side can allow you to land accurate shots in this type of scenario. This can also be particularly useful when you’re looking to shoot an enemy that’s moving around at long or medium range. The Wingman’s fire rate is pretty fast compared to that of something like the Longbow, but don’t worry too much about optimizing your fire rate. It’s better to take a little extra time and shoot with purpose each time you fire this weapon rather than spam shots and miss everything. Patience is key. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the Wingman. If you follow these Wingman tips & tricks, you’ll be clutching fights and making incredible outplays in no time.

How to use the Rampage in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Rampage in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentAfter dominating pro and casual Apex Legends for three seasons, the Rampage has been pulled from the loot pool and placed into the Season 14 care package. Here’s how you can get the most out of this now-rare LMG. Apex Legends Season 14 is here and players are jumping into all of the new content that Respawn has added to the game. However, the Rampage has been noticeably absent. After being a top-tier weapon for 3 seasons, it’s been put in the care package alongside the Bocek Bow. However, other than a buff from 26 damage to 28, the Rampage is pretty much the same as it was before. The Rampage’s signature slow rate of fire and high damage per shot still make it a powerhouse, but one that’s hard to properly use. Contents Apex Legends Rampage LMG damage stats Before checking out which hop-ups and attachments can be used on the Rampage, it’s important you familiarize yourself with the weapon’s damage profile. While the brand new LMG has a slower rate of fire than both the Volt and the Spitfire, it deals significantly more base damage. This means every single shot counts with the Rampage, so it’ll reward players with a solid aim who can consistently land shots. As always, you should always be aiming for the head of your opponents, and with the Rampage’s slower rate of fire, it should be easier to hit more of those pinpoint shots. Keep in mind, you can boost the LMG’s damage and fire rate by placing a Thermite Grenade in the gun, but for now, let’s check out the weapon’s base damage stats. Rampage LMG hop-ups While the Rampage doesn’t have any hop-ups players can use to increase the gun’s power, it uses a similar mechanic to the Sentinel. Instead of using shield cells, the Rampage uses Thermite Grenades to increase the weapon’s damage and fire rate. This boost makes the new LMG absolutely lethal, so it’s key you stock up on Thermite grenades. And, fortunately, the Rampage comes with a Thermite grenade in the care package. Rampage LMG optics The Rampage comes stock with a 2x HCOG, but it can be swapped out for other sights based on personal preference. Here are the scopes that can be equipped for the Rampage: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Rampage LMG tips & tricks 1. Look to poke and take down enemies from afar While the Rampage’s slower rate of fire makes it relatively unreliable in close-quarter skirmishes, its power at medium to long-range is unmatched in the LMG category. This makes it the perfect weapon to weaken an enemy squad before an aggressive push with your team. Keep in mind, it’s key you run an SMG or shotgun alongside the Rampage so you’re always ready for a close-quarter gunfight. This isn’t the sort of gun you run with a marksman weapon. However, if you’re confident in your aim and ability to always land your shots, the Rampage could a solid choice in any firefight. 2. Practice makes perfect with the Rampage Unlike a lot of the other fully automatic guns in Apex, the Rampage has an insanely high-skill ceiling due to its slow rate of fire. This means it’s easy to miss a lot of your shots and get taken down by a player using a more forgiving weapon. However, if you’re aim is sharp and you’re able to track your targets well, the Rampage will reward you with better overall damage output. So, in order to master the Rampage, it’s key you spend some time in the Practice Range getting used to the weapon and familiarizing yourself with its recoil pattern. This is especially important for newer players that don’t have experience with this weapon being ground loot. You won’t get much time with it in real matches considering it’s a care package weapon now. 3. Consider learning Rampart Although the Rampage will be a strong weapon no matter which Legend has it in their hands, Rampart’s passive, Modded Loader, makes this weapon an even greater threat. Modded Loader increases the Rampage’s magazine size by 15% and decreases its reload time by 25%. The Rampage comes with 220 rounds, and Rampart gets a magazine size of 46 instead of the standard 40. This should be more than enough to last for an entire game of Apex considering its low rate of fire, making this weapon a fantastic primary choice for Rampart players. While these passive buffs to the weapon aren’t game-changing, they’re enough to give you an edge over a lot of other players in gunfights. So, if you’re interested in learning how to master Rampart, consider checking out our dedicated guide for the Amped Modder. 4. Use the Rampage to break through doors When equipped with a Thermite Grenade, the Rampage LMG can tear through a door in just a few bullets, This will prevent players from blocking a door while using meds and give you the chance to secure some easy kills. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about the new Rampage LMG. If you follow these tips & tricks, you’ll be beaming enemies down at long range in no time at all. How to use the R-301 in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the R-301 in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Light Ammo weapons may not be as lethal as their Heavy Ammo counterparts, but the R-301 offers plenty of kill potential if you’re willing to master it. As of February 2021, following the Season 8 update, the R-301 was added to the Fully Kitted Weapons. The Anvil Receiver was also brought back, which increases the AR’s semi-auto damage and doubles the shots the gun fires when tap fired. While the R-301’s small clip size and may put a lot of players off, it still remains an incredibly powerful option in Apex Legends. The R-301 is an extremely reliable assault rifle that boasts high accuracy, methodical fire rate, and decent damage in close to mid-range engagements. Whether you’re looking for a full-auto Light Ammo gun that can outrange the R-99 or an AR that won’t leave you in the dirt, then the R-301 is a great choice. Apex Legends R-301 damage stats The R-301 may not have received any buffs in Season 8, but the reintroduction of the Anvil Receiver has given it increased lethality. This is particularly true when you manage to find an Extended Light Mag. After all, this enables the R-301 to constantly barrage foes with highly accurate shots. Due to the gun’s fairly vertical and horizontal recoil pattern, landing shots at a distance can prove rather difficult, especially if you don’t have a Barrel Stabilizer. This can be particularly detrimental considering how poor the R-301’s standard ammo capacity is. To counter this, it’s often best to take close to mid-range firefights. The full damage breakdown for the R-301 can be found below. R-301 Mag attachments One of the R-301’s biggest weaknesses is its terrible clip size. In fact, you’ll need to land the majority of the Mag to down your opponent. This can prove rather troublesome if you miss a few shots or find yourself against a mobile opponent. To help alleviate the R-301’s lackluster standard Mag size, you’ll need to prioritize upgrading it as soon as you can. Below you can see the number of rounds each Extended Light Mag will give you. Stock: 18 – White Mag: 20 – Blue Mag: 25 – Purple/Gold Mag: 28 – R-301 optic attachments Here are the optics that can be equipped to the R-301: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Get an Extended Light Mag ASAP As you may have gathered, the R-301 doesn’t really have the highest ammo count in Apex Legends. In fact, this is AR’s biggest weakness. While the gun’s standard stock (18) may be ok for close-quarter fights, it can quickly land you in a lot of trouble during ranged engagements. This is because you’ll often need to land the R-301’s entire clip if you wish to down fully armored opponents. To avoid having to reload every second and alleviate the pressures of having to be highly accurate, it’s imperative that you find an Extended Light Mag. While the 28 rounds of the Purple/Gold Extended Light Mag is still pretty low, it will help increase the gun’s kill potential. Tap fire at long-range Like most guns in Apex Legends, it can be best to simply avoid going full-auto in ranged engagements, especially during long-distance shooting. This is particularly true with Light Ammo guns, where the stopping power is lower. Not only will tap-firing enable you to conserve the R-301’s ammo, but it will also give you greater precision. After all, the vertical and horizontal recoil can prove incredibly hard to handle when going full-auto. The reintroduction of the Anvil Receiver also enables the R-301 to use two ammo per shot, giving it even more damage when fired in single shots. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the R-301. If you follow these R-301 tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more kills in no time. Make sure you follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to use the Prowler in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Prowler in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Prowler is one of the most unique SMGs in the game thanks to its togglable burst fire mode. This SMG offers great damage and accuracy, giving players tremendous amounts of kill potential. While the Prowler may no longer be part of Apex Legends’ floor loot in Season 8, it can still be found in the game’s Care Packages. Unlike most SMGs, the Prowler utilizes Special Heavy Rounds, which can not be replenished. This may seem like a rather bad catch, but the Prowler’s damage more than makes up for this, especially when you switch over to its full-auto mode. The damage and playstyle are very similar to the R-99 and Volt SMGs, meaning that it’s incredibly potent in close-quarter firefights. If that wasn’t enough, the Prowler can also take down foes in the mid-range thanks to its burst-fire option. To help you utilize the Prowler to its full potential, you’ll first need to get to grips with its punchy playstyle. Apex Legends Prowler damage stats Getting to grips with the Prowler’s damage profile will not only help you secure more kills, it will also give you the knowledge needed to counter it. For example, the Prowler’s headshot multiplier drastically decreases when fired at targets from 39+ meters. This means you’ll want to focus on close-quarter scenarios where you can tear your targets to shreds. Read More: How to use the Spitfire in Apex Legends – Each bullet deals 15 damage per body shot and 23 per headshot. This becomes particularly potent when you consider how fast this gun’s fire rate is (795 RPM). Not only does this enable you to quickly barrage your foes with hard-hitting rounds, but it can also keep your foes locked down while your team pushes their position. The full damage breakdown for the Prowler can be found below. All Prowler attachments Just like every Care Package gun, the Prowler is already fully equipped with attachments. These can not be switched out nor can they be removed, meaning you’ll have to use this gun as it is. Below you can see every attachment that is available for the Prowler. Extended Heavy Mag – 1x Digital Threat scope. – Conserve your ammo While the Prowler may come prepacked with 210 backup special Heavy Rounds, you won’t be able to replenish them. This can leave you at a huge disadvantage, especially if you get caught with low ammo during late-game circles. As a result, it’s often best to only use the Prowler in close-quarter engagements or in scenarios where you can easily land your shots. Read More: How to use the R-301 in Apex Legends – Not only will this allow you to easily shred through your foe’s armor, it will also help you conserve ammo for when you need it the most. After all, the Prowler’s fast rate of fire can quickly chew through loads of special Heavy Rounds if you’re not careful. Switch to burst fire Unlike Apex Legends’ other SMGs, the Prowler does have fairly decent accuracy in mid-range engagements. Of course, you’re almost always better of using the Charge Rifle or the new 30-30 Repeater for ranged combat. However, there are times where you just don’t have time or need to reload your other weapon. Fortunately, the Prowler’s five-round burst-fire mode can get you out of a pinch. Simply switch to this fire mode whenever you need a little extra precision and let those special Heavy Rounds fly. Just remember to switch over to the gun’s full-auto mode when going for those aggressive flanks. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the Prowler. If you follow these Prowler tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more SMG kills in no time. Make sure you follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to use the Peacekeeper in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Peacekeeper in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe Peacekeeper is capable of pumping out some incredible damage in close-quarter firefights, so we’ve got a few tips that will help you secure a dominant victory in Season 9. There are plenty of different shotguns that you can use in Apex Legends. There’s the lightning-fast Eva 8, semi-auto Mastiff, hilariously bad Mozambique, and the ever-popular Peacekeeper. Apex Legends’ Season 9 update has made the Peacekeeper available as floor loot, meaning you won’t need to track down any Care Packages to find it. While the Peacekeeper may no longer come fully kitted with the game’s best attachments, it is still capable of dishing out some ludicrous damage numbers. This is particularly true when you’re aiming for those all-important headshots. If you put in the time to mastering the gun’s intricacies, then you’ll certainly have a huge edge in close-quarter fights. Apex Legends Peacekeeper damage stats Before you go sprinting across Kings Canyon in pursuit of your next target, it’s important to know what kind of damage the Peacekeeper is capable of pumping out. While the Peacekeeper may have a much slower fire rate than the EVA-8 and Mastiff, it is capable of dishing out great damage. Read More: Best Legends to use in Apex Legends Season 9 – To make matters even better, the tighter bullet spread of the Peacekeeper enables players to land more lethal head and bodyshots. The Peacekeeper is also currently the only shotgun that doesn’t lose its headshot multiplier outside of close-quarter ranges, meaning you can still deliver lethal hits no matter where you are. Of course, like most shotguns, the Peacekeeper’s damage greatly relies on you being able to land the majority of the gun’s pellets. The full damage breakdown can be found below: Apex Legends Peacekeeper attachments Peacekeeper Optics 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 1x Digital Threat – Peacekeeper Shotgun Bolts Common: +15% higher fire rate – Rare: +25% higher fire rate – Epic: +35% higher fire rate – The 1x Digital Threat makes seeking out targets and securing cranium kills incredibly easy. Even without the Digital Threat, the Peacekeeper is still capable of dropping even the tankiest Legends in a few hits. This is particularly true when you have the Shotgun Bolt and inbuilt Precision Choke equipped. Read More: How to play Valkyrie in Apex Legends – These attachments increase the Peacekeeper’s rate of fire and keep your shots accurate, which greatly helps you delete opponents in close-quarter fights. ADS for greater accuracy One of the biggest benefits of using the Peacekeeper is its incredible accuracy. Aiming down sights further reduces the gun’s spread, giving you the opportunity to those high damage headshots. When you combine this with the fact that the Peacekeeper is the only shotgun that doesn’t lose its headshot multiplier outside of close-quarter engagements, you have an extremely lethal shotgun. Read More: Apex Legends Arenas first impressions – While hip firing can net you plenty of kill in close-quarter scenarios, it’s almost always best to aim down sights. This is particularly true when your opponents are stationary or you manage to ambush them. Pair the Peacekeeper with a mid to long-range weapon While the Peacekeeper’s headshot multiplier may not diminish over long-distances, we recommend taking another gun that you can rely on in the mid to long-range. After all, why bother trying to hit distant targets with the Peacekeeper when you can simply use a sniper or AR? How to use the G7 Scout in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the G7 Scout in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ G7 Scout returned to floor loot in the Season 14 Hunted update. With it, the Marksman Rifle has gotten a significant update. Here’s how you can get the most out of it with the best tips and tricks. The G7 Scout has always been a reliable semi-automatic battle rifle, giving players plenty of opportunities to secure those all-important ranged kills. While it may lack the potency of the Longbow, it does have a more forgiving playstyle. This makes it perfect for those that like the precision of the game’s sniper rifles, but wish to pepper their foes with quick-fire rounds. With the arrival of the Season 14 Hunted update, Respawn has nerfed the gun’s damage as it returns to floor loot — a big change for those used to rocking the ever-popular Marksman Rifle. In order to get the most out of the G7 in Season 14, we’ve got the ultimate guide to mastering the Marksman Rifle, including tips, tricks, and the stats that make the gun so lethal. Apex Legends G7 Scout damage stats The G7 Scout has largely remained the same since its launch. Compared to other Marksman Rifles, it fires at a fair click of 240 RPM. The fast rate of fire does come with its drawbacks — it can be a bit hard to control if you are really going hard on the burst fire — however, it can dish out a lot of damage very quickly. No matter if it’s at range or up close, the G7 Scout is a solid option for all-round DPS. The full damage breakdown for the G7 Scout can be found below. G7 Scout attachments Now that the G7 has returned to floor loot, there’s a wide array of attachment options for the Marksman Rifle. The G7 Scout can be equipped with an Epic Barrel Stabilizer, Epic Sniper Stock, and Legendary Magazine. This will ensure your shots remain accurate while also giving you plenty of ammo to lay down suppressing fire for a few fights. It also comes with a choice of sights — with the default being the widely-popular 2x-4x Variable AOG because of its power up close and afar. You can’t go wrong with almost any sight on the G7 Scout though. Here are all the attachments that can be equipped to the G7 Scout: Optics 1x HCOG Classic – 1x Holo – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 2x HCOG Bruiser – 3x HCOG Ranger – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Others Barrel Stabilizer(Common, Rare, Epic) – Extended Light Mag (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary) – Sniper Stock (Common, Rare, Epic) – Hop-Up Double Tap Trigger – Lead your shots If you plan to use the G7 Scout for long-range shooting or simply don’t have another option available, then you’ll need to get into the habit of leading your shots. One of the G7 Scout’s biggest flaws is its range drop-off. Unlike the Apex Legends’ Heavy or Sniper rifles, it tends to struggle during any firefights that require a little more range. To help compensate for this, simply fire your shots to the side of a moving target. You may also need to adjust the height of your shots, so simply place the G7 Scout’s sights just above the target’s head. It can take a number of shots before you find the sweet spot, but this method will keep your bullets on target. Carry a close-range weapon Due to the G7 Scout’s rate of fire, it’s imperative that you take an SMG for those close-quarter brawls. There will be times when you will be forced to contest enemy-controlled positions, so you’ll need to rely on a gun that can get the job done. While the G7 Scout’s hipfire may be accurate — and can dish out decent damage with each shot — you’ll get outmatched by any players running full-auto guns. As a result, it’s best to equip a fast-firing SMG like Volt, R-99, or the C.A.R. SMG. Not only will these guns help save you from any frustrating deaths, but they’ll also give you great kill potential during late-game circles. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the G7 Scout. If you follow these G7 Scout tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more wins Apex.

How to use the Flatline in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Flatline in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Flatline is one of the most versatile guns in the game, giving players great accuracy and kill potential across close to mid-range engagements. The Flatline has been around since Apex Legends’ initial release and has always been a reliable AR that deals impressive damage in any kind of skirmish. As a result, Respawn opted to nerf the weapon slightly in Season 12, reducing its damage from 19 to 18 per bullet. Not only that, it’s now only available to create via Crafting Stations in Defiance, so it’ll be interesting to see if the popularity of the weapon goes up or down. Despite these changes, if you’re looking to beam enemy players with lethal single-shot headshots or just want a highly accurate AR you can rely on, then the Flatline is a great choice. Contents Apex Legends Flatline damage stats – Apex Legends Flatline Mag attachments – Apex Legends Flatline optic attachments – Apex Legends Flatline tips & tricks – Apex Legends Flatline damage stats Before you craft a Flatline, you’ll want to get to grips with the rifle’s damage profile first. After all, Apex Legends wins don’t come easy, so make sure you utilize the Flatlines 2x headshot multiplier and excellent body shot damage to beat the competition. Combine this with the Flatline’s 20-round standard mag, methodical fire rate, single fire option, and you have a reliable rifle that can cut down even the hardiest of foes. Keep in mind, in Season 12 the Flatline was removed from the ground loot and added to the crafting rotation. This means the only way to get your hands on the gun is to create one at a station. The full damage breakdown for the Flatline assault rifle can be found below: Flatline Mag attachments The Flatline holds a similar amount of ammo to that of the R-301, which helps give it a slight edge in prolonged firefights. However, if you wish to avoid having to reload every few seconds, you’ll want to seek out a blue or purple Mag. Below you can see the number of rounds each Extended Light Mag will give you. Stock: 20 – White Mag: 25 – Blue Mag: 28 – Purple/Gold Mag: 30 – Flatline optic attachments Here are the optics that can be equipped to the Flatline: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Master the Flatline’s recoil pattern One of the main reasons a lot of players dislike the Flatline is due to its incredibly high recoil, which makes it difficult to land shots during medium to long-range firefights. To avoid any frustrating deaths and to increase your overall accuracy, you’ll want to head into the practice range and unload your entire clip into the nearest mid-range target. The rifle will naturally creep upwards, snaking its way to the right, then begin climbing vertically once again. To compensate for this, you’ll want to gradually drag your mouse or analog stick downwards to offset the weapon’s vertical recoil. Once you’ve got the hang of doing this and mastered the Flatline’s fully auto recoil, you’ll be able to quickly take down multiple foes in close-quarter and mid-range skirmishes. Know when to use the Flatline’s single-fire mode Being able to down targets in just a couple of hits is always going to be incredibly useful in any firefight, particularly when you need to clutch out a victory for your team. Fortunately, the Flatline’s Heavy rounds pack a mean punch, especially when you’re able to quickly fire off a number of lethal shots to the head. While it can be tempting to hold down the trigger and hose down the nearest enemy you see, it’s important that you pay attention to the distance of your enemy. After all, the Flatline’s recoil pattern can make landing shots frustratingly difficult, so consider switching to the single-fire mode when you’re in need of extra precision. The slower fire rate may seem rather jarring and somewhat counter-intuitive at first, but switching between these firing modes will drastically increase your overall accuracy during engagements. Take a close-range weapon to avoid any frustrating deaths The Flatline may not be the slowest firing weapon in the game, but it does tend to get outclassed by Apex Legends’ speedier weapons, making it particularly problematic in close-quarters fights. Having a gun that you can rely on to quickly melt through multiple opponents will give you a huge advantage, particularly if you don’t have to waste time aiming down sights. After all, the Flatline’s 20-round magazine and reticle make it rather difficult to hip fire your shots, so make sure you equip any of the above guns to avoid any early deaths. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the Flatline. If you follow these Flatline tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more kills in no time. Make sure you follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to use the Devotion in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Devotion in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ energy weapons may not be for everyone, but the Devotion LMG offers plenty of kill potential if you’re willing to learn its intricacies. The Devotion is one of the strongest energy weapons in Apex Legends, but unlike the Spitfire, this LMG performs very differently. Just like most Energy weapons, the Devotion takes a while to get going. However, once you’ve fired off a few rounds, it will spit out bullets at a blisteringly fast rate. This is magnified even further when you equip the iconic Titanfall weapon with a Turbocharger. While many players are often put off by the Devotion’s sluggish startup, there are a few who swear by its incredible kill potential. There’s certainly no denying how lethal this LMG can be, and if you put the time into mastering it, you’ll certainly secure more game-winning kills in no time. Apex Legends Devotion damage stats The Devotion may not have received any buffs in Season 8, but it is still capable of pumping out some decent damage per second. This is particularly true when you manage to find yourself a Turbocharger. After all, this enables the LMG to reach its 900 RPM much quicker. Due to the gun’s fairly high recoil pattern, landing shots at a distance can prove rather difficult, especially if you don’t have a Barrel Stabilizer. To counter this, it’s often best to take close to mid-range firefights. The full damage breakdown for the Devotion can be found below. Devotion Mag attachments The Devotion can make short work of your Energy Ammo, so you’ll need to go on the hunt for a Purple Extended Energy Mag. This is particularly true when the Devotion spins up to its maximum RPM. This deadly Energy weapon can pepper opponents with hundreds of rounds, provided you have the necessary ammo reserves. To help alleviate the LMG’s frustratingly long reload times, you’ll need to prioritize upgrading the Devotion’s Mag. Below you can see the number of rounds each Extended Energy Mag will give you. Stock: 36 rounds – White Mag: 40 rounds – Blue Mag: 44 rounds – Purple/Gold Mag: 48 round – Devotion optic attachments Here are the scopes that can be equipped to the Devotion: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Equip a Turbocharger ASAP The main reason a lot of Apex Legends players avoid the Devotion is down to the gun’s overall reliance on attachments. While you can get by without the Barrel Stabilizer and Purple Extended Energy Mag, you won’t get too far without the Turbocharger. Not only does this Hop-Up allow the Devotion to reach its maximum RPM faster, it also drastically increases the LMG’s lethality. Read More: Best World’s Edge landing spots – The Devotion is an absolute DPS machine when it gets going, so having an attachment that reduces the gun’s biggest caveat is huge. Finding a Turbocharger Hop-Up can be pretty tricky, but it’s not entirely impossible either. Stock up on Energy Ammo The Devotion is an incredibly greedy LMG. In fact, this gun can quickly guzzle up hundreds of Energy rounds in a matter of seconds, especially if you have the Turbocharger equipped. To help avoid any frustrating deaths, it’s often best to hoard stacks of Energy ammo. Make sure your team knows that you need this ammo type and always look for opportunities where you can replenish it. After all, no likes to hear the dreaded empty click in the middle of a firefight. Learn the Devotion’s recoil pattern While the Devotion may offer blisteringly fast kill times, its vertical recoil can make landing those all-important bodyshots difficult, especially when shoot targets at mid-range distances. When holding down the trigger, the Devotion will climb its way up the screen and veer slightly to the left. As you can see from the image above, the recoil pattern can get rather erratic the longer you hold down the trigger. Even with the Barrel Stabilizer equipped, it’s still good practice to slow drag down on the mouse/analog stick to mitigate the gun’s vertical kick. By doing this, you’ll be able to land the majority of your shots. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the Devotion. If you follow these Devotion tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more LMG kills in no time. Make sure you follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to use the CAR SMG in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the CAR SMG in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe CAR SMG is greatly effective in Apex Legends and the deadly close-quarter weapon has proven to be a challenging weapon for opponents to deal with for the longest time. The Apex Legends meta is always changing as Repsawn are constantly tinkering with weapons and their respective attachment to ensure the game remains competitive and varied. Whereas Legends like Newcastle and Vantage tried to change up the character pool and play havoc with the game’s established pick rates, the CAR SMG remains a constant choice for players to latch onto. Here’s how the CAR SMG performs with different attachments and the best ways to use it in the middle battle royale. Contents Apex Legends CAR SMG damage stats When attempting to master any weapon in Apex, it’s important you familiarize yourself with the gun’s damage stats, as it will give you an indication of which gunfights you can win, and when it’s best to retreat. In comparison to the Volt, the CAR has a significantly faster rate of fire, making it lethal if you manage to hit all of your shots. Not only that, it’s incredibly strong at close range when hip-fired, making it a solid choice in high-pressure situations. Its hip-fire stats can also be given a ginormous boost if you are able to find and apply the Laser Sight attachment that was introduced during Apex Legends Season 14. Despite this, the gun does have a hefty recoil pattern, so it will take some time in the Firing Range to get used to the kickback. Damage-wise, the CAR does fall slightly short when compared to the Volt, but it makes up for it with its fire rate. CAR SMG hop-ups While the CAR SMG doesn’t have any hop-ups players can use to increase the gun’s power, it does have a special ammo feature that sets it apart from other weapons. The CAR is capable of using both Light and Heavy ammunition, and while the ammo type doesn’t affect the gun’s damage, it does make inventory management significantly easier. Not only that, it’s unlikely you’ll ever be scrambling to find ammo before a gunfight, so it’s perfect who find there always short on bullets. CAR SMG optics Here are the scopes that can be equipped for the CAR SMG: CAR SMG tips & tricks 1. Master the hefty recoil pattern While the CAR isn’t immensely difficult to control, it does have a more significant recoil pattern than the Volt, so it may take a few matches to get used to the kickback. If you want to jump into your games and begin dominating the competition from the start, then it’s key you make use of the Firing Range. Practice landing shots on the targets with the SMG and make sure you’ve fully grasped the recoil before going up against real players. That way, you can ensure you’ll be performing at your best and you can focus on exploring the Storm Point map without the risk of missing your shots. 2. Make use of the CAR’s lethal hip-fire With an extremely fast fire rate, the CAR is powerful at close-quarters, so it’s essential you make use of the gun’s deadly hip fire. While ADSing a target is useful at long distances, in high-pressure gunfights at close range, it’s usually better to hip-fire and jump around to avoid being shot. This makes the CAR perfect for this playstyle, so if you’re the type of player that enjoys pushing your opponents and playing aggressively, the new SMG will always be a strong pickup. 3. Be less conservative with ammo For a lot of Apex players, finding the correct ammo type can be a struggle and will often cause them to switch between multiple guns throughout a match. Well, the CAR’s ability to take both Light and Heavy ammunition makes it extremely versatile and ideal for newer players who often find themselves running out of bullets. Not only that, it opens up more space in your inventory for other consumables as well as grenades, so consider using the CAR if you regularly run out of ammo. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about the new CAR SMG. If you follow these tips & tricks, you’ll be tearing down enemies at close range in no time. Make sure you follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to use the Bocek Bow in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Bocek Bow in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe Bocek Bow has been relegated to the care package in Apex Legends Season 14, and it received enough buffs to make it a marksman weapon worth fighting for. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Bocek bow. With the Scout and the Volt out of the care package for Apex Legends Season 14, the Bocek Bow and Rampage took their place. And, to make the Bocek Bow a weapon worth seeking out, it got some serious buffs going into Season 14. Coming stock with a 3x sight, Shatter caps, and Deadeye’s Tempo, this fully kitted Bocek Bow might as well be an entirely different weapon from the stock Bocek that’s been available on the ground since Season 9. The Bocek Bow certainly isn’t the easiest weapon to use, but it’s capable of being a mid to long range monster that can be strong at close range in a tight situation. Apex Legends Bocek Bow damage stats Before checking out which hop-ups and attachments that now come stock on the bow, it’s important you familiarize yourself with the weapon’s damage profile. While it certainly won’t pump out the same amount of damage as the Spitfire or Volt, the bow rewards those who are capable of consistently landing shots. As the Bocek’s damage is dealt in chunks, it’s possible to surprise your enemies and take them out quicker than they would expect. As with any weapon, you’ll want to be aiming for the head to make the most of the damage multiplier. However, the Bocek still does respectable damage no matter where you hit your opponent. What makes the bow unique though, is that you can fire it fully drawn or half-drawn (increasing fire rate, but drastically reducing damage). You’re almost always better off fully charging shots. Damage while ADS (aim down sights) Damage while hipfiring (Shatter Caps, 7 bolt spread) Bocek Bow hop-ups Now that the Bocek comes standard with both Hop-Ups equipped, learning how to use them properly is more important than ever. Deadeye’s Tempo: Firing in an indicated pattern will increase the bow’s fire rate – Shatter Caps: Rounds split into a blast pattern upon firing – It’s likely the Shatter Caps hop-up will act as a situational attachment for the majority of players in their Apex games. Although the blast pattern shots are certainly effective at close range, they take some real getting used to. On the other hand, the Deadeye’s Tempo hop-up turns the Bocek into a mid-range damage machine, if you’re capable of landing your shots. Firing the weapon in the indicated pattern significantly increases the fire rate and can turn the weapon into a serious threat in the right player’s hands. Bocek Bow optics While it now comes stock with a 3x HCOG sight, the Bocek can still swap sights depending on player preference. Here are the scopes that can be equipped to the Bocek Bow: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 2x HCOG – 3x HCOG – Bocek Bow tips & tricks 1. Use the bow’s silence to your advantage Unlike the majority of weapons in Apex, the Bocek Bow’s shots are very quiet (but not completely silent), making it difficult for enemies to figure out where the arrows are coming from. This means you can usually get two or three shots on a squad without them attempting to fight back. If all of your arrows hit their targets, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to push a weakened set of opponents and this should result in an easy wipe for your squad. Keep in mind that the Bocek is a marksman weapon, and should be treated as such. While Shatter Caps gives the Bocek some power at close range, running it alongside an SMG, Assault Rifle, or Shotgun is ideal. 2. Put in the practice with the bow The Bocek Bow feels completely unique compared to any other weapon in Apex Legends. Learning how to time your shots with Deadeye’s Tempo is essential, and using the Bocek close up isn’t as easy at it looks. It may have some of the highest potential DPS out of any of the marksman weapons, but the Bocek requires a bit more finesse than something like the 30-30 Repeater or G7 Scout. Practice with the Bocek may mean the difference between a disappointing care package weapon and a care package weapon that can win you the game. This thing is a beast in capable hands. 3. Hot swap 80 arrows is a pretty hefty amount in comparison to how many arrows players running the Bocek Bow before Season 14 would typically have had on hand. As with any other red weapon, the Bocek has the distinct advantage of freeing up a lot of inventory space. More importantly, the Bocek doesn’t have to be reloaded. 80 rounds combined with no reload gives you the ability to outpace and outlast most opponents with standard rifles at longer ranges. Additionally, it makes the Bocek a great weapon to swap to in sticky situations. Read more: Apex Legends dev explains why Wattson and Crypto won’t be overhauled any time soon Landing good shots with Shatter Caps isn’t easy, but it can be a close-range lifesaver. Getting in the habit of quickly swapping to the Bocek and putting out accurate shots is worth the time investment. Additionally, running a Bocek with a golden mag secondary makes it possible to fight without ever having to reload. Sticking with the bow long enough for your other weapon to reload by itself can be the key to clutching out late-game fights. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the new Bocek Bow. If you follow these tips and tricks, you’ll be landing highlight-reel shots with the new and improved Bocek in no time. Make sure you follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

How to master the Alternator in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to master the Alternator in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe Alternator has left the care package and returned to ground floor loot in Season 12. While it may not be the most popular SMG in Apex, it can still melt enemies on sight. Here’s how you can master it. The Alternator in Season 12 may not be able to go toe-to-toe with weapons like the R99 and Volt since its removal from the care package, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be quite effective in the right hands. We’ve got everything you need to know about getting a handle of Apex’s Alternator, including all the stats and the best tips and tricks. Apex Legends Alternator damage stats Just like every gun in Apex Legends, it’s always important to know what kind of damage your gun is capable of dishing out. While the Alternator may not share the high DPS of the R-99 and Volt, it can still give you the edge needed to sway firefights in your favor. Read More: How to master the R-99 in Apex Legends – The main reason for this being its easy to control nature. The Alternator’s hipfire and low recoil pattern give this pint-sized SMG a few options when it comes to taking down your foe. The full damage breakdown for the Alternator can be found below. Alternator Mag attachments Even though the Alternator has a relatively small mag size without attachments, its low fire rate makes this somewhat unrecognizable. Unlike the R99, missing a few shots with this weapon won’t be as detrimental. Below you can see the number of rounds each that Extended Light Mag on the Alternator will give you. Stock: 19 – White Mag: 22 – Blue Mag: 25 – Purple/Gold Mag: 27 – Alternator optic attachments Fortunately, the Alternator has some of the best stock iron sights in Apex Legends which lessens the need to attach and optic attachment. Nevertheless, here are the optics that be equipped on the Alternator: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 1x Digital Threat – Hipfire as much as possible This point can be applied to every SMG in Apex Legends, but this particularly true for the Alternator. Read More: How to master the Volt SMG in Apex Legends – The Alternator has incredibly accurate hipfire and its reticle is very clean, which makes hitting targets incredibly easy. The gun does also thrive in close-quarter fights, so ADSing isn’t as necessary. However, if you’re caught in a bit of a longer range fight, you can scope in to make sure you’re dishing out that damage. If you follow these Alternator tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure big dubs with the shield-shredding pocket rocket. How to use the Spitfire in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use the Spitfire in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe Spitfire is one of the strongest Apex Legends LMGs, but how can you master this high-damage weapon and use it to claim a game-winning victory? The Spitfire has always been one of the strongest weapons in Apex Legends, even annoyingly so. But with the 10th Season of Apex, Respawn have sent it to the care package. The Spitfire was a popular pick, but with it now in the care packages, it will be much rarer in your games. There’s no big secret with Spitfire – with its methodical rate of fire, large magazine, and decent damage, the LMG can net you plenty of kills. Apex Legends Spitfire damage stats Before mowing down anything that so much dares to stray into your sights, you’ll first want to familiarize yourself with the Spitfire’s damage profile. While it’s not the strongest gun in the game, it is capable of pumping out some decent damage per second. This is particularly true when you can land those all-important head and body shots. Read More: Apex Legends Season 10 weapon changes – Of course, landing headshots can be rather tricky in ranged firefights, so it’s often best to go for cranium kills at close to medium range engagement ranges. The full damage breakdown for the Spitfire can be found below. Spitfire Mag attachments Arguably the strongest selling point of the Spitfire is its incredible ammo capacity. This mighty LMG can spew out hundreds of heavy rounds, provided you have the necessary ammo reserves. You’ll also want to prioritize upgrading the Spitfire’s Mag to avoid the gun’s sluggish reload speed. Now in the care package, you’ll be kitted out with the 55 round magazine. Spitfire optic attachments Here are the scopes that can be equipped to the Spitfire: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – Tips for using Spitfire Don’t constantly reload Now, this habit can be incredibly hard to break, especially if you’re used to playing with Apex Legends’ R-99 and Volt SMG. However, the Spitfire’s magazine holds a lot of ammunition (55 rounds with purple/gold), meaning you can tear through multiple foes before needing to reload. Read More: When is Apex Legends Season 11? – However, this does come at a rather hefty downside. In fact, the Season 8 update increased the Spitfire’s reload time to 3.2 seconds, and its empty reload speed to 3.8 seconds. As a result, you’ll want to find a safe place to hunker down before beginning this lengthy animation, or just switch to another weapon entirely. Pair the Spitfire with a close-range weapon While the Spitfire is capable of taking down foes in close-quarter firefights, its methodical rate of fire can leave you in the dust. Instead, it’s often best to pair the LMG with close-quarter SMGs like the R-99 and Volt, or the Mastiff shotgun. After all, there’s nothing worse than losing a gunfight due to a long reload animation. Once you’ve finished peppering your opponents from afar with the Spitfire, don’t be afraid to aggressively push them. The Spitfire really excels at mid-range firefights and can quickly down your targets when they’re rushing between cover. Just remember to switch to your secondary when going for those aggressive flanks. Constantly replenish Heavy rounds The Spitfire is an incredibly greedy LMG and can quickly chew through hundreds of rounds, especially if you have the purple mag attachment. As a result, you’ll want to ensure you have plenty of Heavy rounds in your inventory. Read More: How to use the L-STAR in Apex Legends – Make sure you prioritize hoovering up as much Heavy ammo in the early rounds as this will help you to avoid any frustrating late-game looting. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the Spitfire. If you follow these Spitfire tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more LMG kills in no time. How to use Revenant’s Apex Legends ultimate to save teammates – Dexerto
How to use Revenant’s Apex Legends ultimate to save teammates RespawnApex Legends players have found a way to use Revenant’s Death Totem ultimate ability in the most unselfish fashion possible, becoming – arguably – the best team player legend in the game. The start of Apex Legends season four gave the popular battle royale title a fresh coat of paint in the form of a new Legends in Revenant, cosmetics for everyone else, and even map changes to World’s Edge. With the introduction of the new legend, Revenant has quickly become a part of the game’s evolving meta, as fans are still trying to find the best ways to use the Synthetic Nightmare. One of the biggest keys to victory with any character is figuring out how their ultimate ability is best used and players have already conjured up clever uses for Revenant. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user talalm5 showcased a clip from one of their recent games where they decided to use Revenant’s Death Totem to save their teammates rather than striking fear into other teams. Instead of pushing enemy players, the Redditor found a spot near the edge of the zone and popped the ultimate. After entering death protection mode, they quickly ran outside of the circle and headed for their downed teammate’s banners – getting a little help from an Octane Jump Pad in the process. As the circle ticked their health away, talalm5 fell victim to the damage but as they were still in death protection, they were spawned back at the Death Totem – transporting them back inside the safe zone. Some players may not have ever thought to use Revenant’s abilities in such a defensive and team-centric manner, but in the same way as Crypto, it appears as if he can be both an aggressive and passive legend. Whether or not players start using tips like these to change the meta still remains to be seen, but, at least different tricks are starting to be found.

Once you have done that, simply place down your Death Totem and activate the ability before entering the Replicator. If done correctly, you’ll be able to move around while the purchase menu is active. Your vision is extremely limited while in this state and your ability to change direction is void, but you can still move around the map. To return back to the Replicator, all you have to do is cancel the menu or purchase an item. After doing this, you’ll be instantly teleported back to the replicator. While you can’t fire your weapon or use Legend abilities, it can lead to some hilarious encounters. Make sure you give this trick a go when you next drop into a match.

How to use Pathfinder’s grapple as Gibraltar in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Pathfinder’s grapple as Gibraltar in Apex Legends Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has uncovered a pretty hilarious bug that allows Gibraltar to use Pathfinder’s zipline abilities. Ever since Apex Legends launched back in February of 2019, players have been finding bugs and other hilarious mistakes inside Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title. Some have been bigger than others – with fans chasing shadows around the firing range training mode to uncover a big mystery with the dummies. Others, though, have been slightly more unintentional – with players struggling to get into games while a map doesn’t load or being able to switch characters to play in third-person mode. Now, Reddit user lolipop69696969 has shown how, by swapping characters a few times, players can use Pathfinder’s zipline and hook abilities with Gibraltar, making the legend even more powerful than usual. As per the Redditor, players have to use three different characters – Revenant, Gibraltar, and Pathfinder – to make it work. Using Revenant, you have to call upon his Death Totem ultimate but quickly swap and enter Death Protection mode as Gibraltar. Once that’s done, players have to start running and then swap to Pathfinder mid-run before running outside of the Totem’s limit. After a few seconds, Death Protection will wear off and the abilities will have swapped over. How to give Gibraltar a grapple in Apex Legends Use Revenant’s Death Totem ultimate – Enter Death Protection mode as Gibraltar – Runaway from the Death Totem and switch to Pathfinder mid-run – Exit the Death Totem’s area limit and wait – You will now have Pathfinder’s abilities. – Now, as the player showed, the bug clearly works while in the Firing Range training mode but it is not going to work in a normal match seeing as you can’t change character mid-game. Of course, it could always be Respawn laying the groundwork for a pretty interesting LTM – training mode secrets have done that before. Though, seeing Gibraltar flying around World’s Edge would probably cause a bit of fury from some players.

How to use Observation Towers on Kings Canyon in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Observation Towers on Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends Season 8 has made a vast number of changes to Kings Canyon, with Observation Towers giving players a high ground advantage like never before. Here’s how you use them. Alongside the additions of Fuse, the 30-30 Repeater, and a whole lot more, Apex Legends Season 8 has also given us a brand-new version of Kings Canyon, of which we’ve picked some of the best landing spots. Known as Obliterated Kings Canyon, the reshaped map takes away a lot of the dead space that the original Apex Legends map had, introducing a few new spots and a more vibrant feel to the battle royale. A lot of these changes have been brought upon by ECHO camps, which have Observation Towers in them – letting players take to high ground and coop up in a sniper’s nest. How to activate Apex Legends Observation Towers These Observation Towers can only be found inside the ECHO camps at spots like Spotted Lakes and Crash Sites. You can hardly miss the distinct yellow buildings that have popped up on Apex Legends‘ original map. If you want to use a tower, the process is pretty simple. You just have to interact with a control panel that can be found near the base of the tower you want to use. When you’ve done so, the tower will begin to activate, and you’ll just have to wait a few seconds. In this time though, a loud sound will play and alert any nearby enemies. Though, you can then use a zipline to get on top of the tower. Interact with the control panel near the base of an Observation Tower – Wait as the Tower starts activating – Use the zipline to get to the top – Enjoy your high ground advantage – Again, while the high ground advantage is worthwhile – especially in late zones – enemies will know where you are. So, if they’re kill hungry, expect visitors pretty quickly. You might get away with being to outplay a few enemies by activating the towers, and waiting for them to attack, but that’s a 200 IQ play. Not everyone will fall for it, either.

How to use Newcastle’s shield like a Gibby dome in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Newcastle’s shield like a Gibby dome in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players have found a way to use Newcastle’s shield like a budget Gibraltar dome, which is preventing them from taking damage from behind. Although there were rumors about other legends, mainly Blisk and Hawk, Newcastle was added to the Apex Games when Respawn dropped their Season 13: Saviors update back in early May. Since his arrival, the Hero of Harris Valley, who is actually Bangalore’s brother, has quickly become a popular pick for Apex Legends – with many considering him a replacement for Lifeline because of his shield and revive abilities. Newcastle has also drawn comparisons with Gibraltar, given he can also create areas of protection with said shield. While his shield doesn’t cover an area as completely as Gibby’s dome, players have found a way to make it work in a similar fashion. The trick was highlighted by Redditor kuroneko4696 on May 30, noting that the small drone that appears when you place Newcastle’s Mobile Sheild ability will actually block attacks. While the drone doesn’t seem like it should block things, the Redditor showed a couple of examples with Arc Star grenades, Thermites, and even Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder ultimate. If the drone is in the right spot, and you’re tucked up next to the shield, the explosive attacks cannot bypass the drone and will be unable to damage you. As one of the Redditor’s clips shows, if you’re backed up against the edge of the zone, it is pretty much a low-cost Gibby dome. Of course, the trick isn’t going to help you if an enemy team decides to push up with their weapons and abilities, but if they lazily throw grenades, you’ll be fine. Now, Respawn may decide to make a tweak at some point – say giving the drone some HP similar to Lifeline’s wall – if it becomes overpowered, but we’ll have to wait and see on that front. For now, it’s pretty useful.

How to use MRVN’s arm in Apex Legends to get Legendary loot – Dexerto
How to use MRVN’s arm in Apex Legends to get Legendary loot Respawn/EAApex Legends’ Fight Night event has brought some new ways for players to get loot, including now having MRVN robots scattered around Olympus. Here’s how you can find them and use them to your advantage. The highly anticipated Fight Night collection event has brought plenty of new content to Apex Legends, especially when it comes to new skins and cosmetics. Though, there have been map changes too. Pathfinder’s boxing-themed Town Takeover has proven to be pretty popular with players, but he’s no longer the only MRVN on the map. Now there are MRVNs that will hand over different levels of loot. However, if you want to get some nicer loot, you will have to take the brutal step in taking down a MRVN. How to find a MRVN arm in Apex Legends Now, you don’t have to take down the MRVNs if you don’t want to – you can simply accept the loot that they give you. You can tell what loot you’re going to get based on the face that appears on the MRVN’s screen. A white face gets common loot, a blue face gets rare, purple face grants epic loot, and a delighted yellow face gives away legendary loot. Once you’ve taken the loot, if you then eliminate the MRVN, they will drop a MRVN arm. You can’t find the arm in a supply box, replicator, or care package – they can only be gotten through eliminating a robot. Bonus: If you kill the MRVN, you can take their arm to another MRVN. This will make them very happy, and give you Gold loot! Here’s how it works: pic.twitter.com/jMnTNaagSr — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 1, 2021 How to use loot MRVN arm in Apex Legends When the MRVN drops an arm, you can then pick this up and carry it until you see another MRVN. Similarly to how the vault keys work on World’s Edge. If you then give the other robot the arm, that will make them incredibly happy, and in turn, give you gold loot. It’s a simple process. Find a loot MRVN on Olympus – Wait until they show a face on the screen on their body – If it’s not gold, eliminate the MRVN – Pick up the MRVN arm that drops – Find another MRVN and attach the arm when prompted – Wait a few seconds and the gold loot is yours! – Even when you’ve used the MRVN to get legendary loot, you can still repeat the process by taking them down and giving the arm to another. After all, the better loot you’ve got, the better the chances you have of winning. Read More: Apex Legends devs working on new game – However, you will need to be careful and weigh up what you’re doing. Loot MRVNs power down after being used, so if someone else got to one before you, you might miss out on the chance to claim some goodies from them.

How to use Mirage’s ultimate correctly in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Mirage’s ultimate correctly in Apex Legends RespawnApex Legends players have seemingly been using Mirage’s Vanishing Act ultimate incorrectly, with one Redditor showing how it should be used to gain wins, not backtracking to heal up. Ever since the game released back in February, Apex Legends players have been finding new and genius ways to use items and abilities in-game. Be it Pathfinder’s grapple, or hiding with Caustic, there is a different use for nearly everything that is currently in use around Kings Canyon. The newest, however, comes in the form – or several forms – of Mirage’s bamboozling ultimate which which many players use a defensive Ultimate, using it to escape from a gunfight unseen in order to heal up behind cover. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user red_dollar pointed out that while some players don’t seem to be fans of the legend’s Vanishing Act ultimate, suggesting it could be underpowered, there are ways to make it incredibly effective. Instead of explaining why, though, the Redditor opted to show why they are such a big fan with a very satisfying compilation. With a number of game-winning highlights, red_dollar uses the ultimate to force players back and flank them instead of how many players currently use it to retreat. Instead of Mirage going on the back foot, opposing players are left with no sight of the player, who is able to sneak up undetected for a free kill. Other Mirage users chimed in, agreeing with the Redditor’s stance of using Vanishing Act to go on the offensive. “I main Mirage and I find that the people who don’t like the ult are using it wrong,” added one user. “You have to use it how you are, offensively, rather than an escape.” Another user noted that many players end up being frustrated by the ultimate because they run away and are eliminated by stray bullets. They compared it to Wraith’s tactical ability, where players who use it as a “repositioning tactic and not an escape do well.” Other Mirage mains may want to consider changing up their play style to suit the ultimate’s proper use, or even consider learning to use a different hero altogether that might just prove beneficial.

How to use Kinetic Feeder hop-up in Apex Legends: For Peacekeeper & Triple Take Respawn EntertainmentThe Kinetic Feeder is the new hop-up arriving in Apex Legends Season 12 and it’s going to boost the power of the Peacekeeper and Triple Take. Apex Legends Season 12 is set to go live on February 8 and it’s bringing a huge amount of new content to the game. Whether it’s the brand new Legend Mad Maggie, the 9v9 Control LTM, or even the major map changes happening on Olympus, it’s safe to say Respawn is looking to knock it out of the park with Defiance. However, despite all of these additions, one of the most exciting new features is the Kinetic Feeder hop-up. Set to boost the power of charge weapons in the Outlands, let’s run through exactly what the new attachment does, where it can be found, and which weapons can make use of it. Contents How does the Kinetic Feeder work in Apex Legends? – How to get the Kinetic Feeder hop-up in Apex Legends – Which weapons does the Kinetic Feeder work with? – New hop-up confirmed: Kinetic Feeder How does the Kinetic Feeder work in Apex Legends? How to get the Kinetic Feeder hop-up in Apex Legends Similar to other hop-ups in Apex Legends, the Kinetic Feeder can be found on the ground or by opening Loot Bins across the Outlands. There’s also a chance Respawn places it into the crafting rotation at some point in Season 12, so keep your eyes peeled. Which weapons does the Kinetic Feeder work with? How to use the HAVOC in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & more – Dexerto
How to use the HAVOC in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has plenty of powerful weapons, but one that often stands above the rest is the HAVOC energy assault rifle. If you’re looking for an AR in Apex that truly packs-a-punch, then this is the weapon for you. Despite being released in February of 2019, the HAVOC is still a solid AR pickup in Apex Legends Season 8 and can deal some serious damage. Although it’s not the most popular weapon on account of its charge-up time, with the correct attachments, the HAVOC can really pack-a-punch. Let’s breakdown everything you need to know about this energy ammo gun and give you all the info on how to truly master the HAVOC rifle in Apex Legends. Apex Legends HAVOC damage stats First off, to master any weapon in Apex Legends you need to understand what kind of power you’re working with, and the HAVOC has plenty. In fact, if you can get the energy rifle rolling, it deals a devastating amount of damage. Each individual “bullet hit” for the HAVOC doesn’t do much damage, yes, but when you pair it with the gun’s huge 672 rounds (or in this case, energy flow) per minute, the output starts to tick up to eleven. The HAVOC can kill a full-armored Legend in just 11 body hits, or just three shots if you land headshots. Read more: How to master Octane in Apex Legends – The full damage breakdown for the HAVOC assault rifle against different kinds of Legends can be found below thanks to the Apex Legends game wiki. HAVOC Turbocharger attachment A flaw of the HAVOC is its long wind-up time that can cost you valuable damage in gunfights. Luckily, the Turbocharger hop-up completely removes this charge-up time allows the weapon to fire immediately. If you’re planning on running the HAVOC as a primary weapon into the late game, this is a must-find attachment. Make it clear to your team you’re on the lookout for one and you should locate the hop-up eventually. Manage your HAVOC ammo with your squadmates There’s no getting around it: the HAVOC absolutely chews through your energy ammo stacks, and considering you’ll probably not be running double energy, that’s a valuable resource you need to make last until the end of the match. Never use the HAVOC for long-range potshots, or questioning attacks. You and your team should always make sure you are fully committed to a fight before opening fire. You’re just wasting ammo if you fire the energy gun in bursts. One way to use the HAVOC to its best potential is to act as a “sweeper” for your team. Let them do the poking, have them shatter the enemy’s armor, and then hold the trigger and keep your reticle aimed at the bad guys: they’ll melt in moments. The HAVOC has strange recoil patterns Most weapons in Apex Legends operate in a similar fashion. If you trade an R-99 SMG for an R-301 Carbine, there’ll be some variance, but they both act in a similar way. The same goes for shotguns, or snipers too. The HAVOC doesn’t really have many peers. The Devotion, another energy-chewing titan of a weapon, is close, but not really the same. That means it takes time, and effort, to master the energy rifle if you want to get it pinpoint accurate. Jump in the training range, and fire off medium and long-range shots. Feel where the recoil goes when you fight close range. Manage it, learn it, and understand that it’s different from all the other guns in-game. Carry a sharp-shooting close-range gun too The HAVOC takes time to get going. You need to keep it on-target, work with your allies, and often even then it takes a bit to really start spitting out damage. Flanks and ambushes are pretty common in Apex, and if you fall victim to one, you could be in big trouble. That’s where your secondary comes in. Pair the HAVOC with a fast-reaction gun like the R-99, the EVA-8, or even a full-auto Prowler, and you’ll be fine. You can even use the fast-shooting first gun to break armor, before swapping to the HAVOC. So there you have it, a few tips & tricks to make sure you master the deadly HAVOC energy rifle in no time. How to use grenades in Apex Legends to recreate Bangalore’s ultimate – Dexerto
How to use grenades in Apex Legends to recreate Bangalore’s ultimate Respawn EntertainmentAn impressive Apex Legends clip shows one player using only hand-thrown projectiles to recreate Bangalore’s ultimate ability, earning them the win. Since Apex Legends released back in February of 2019, a number of the game’s legends have established themselves as fan favorites. Alongside Wraith, Lifeline and Pathfinder, Bangalore is a popular legend, mixing discretion with firepower to make a truly formidable opponent. However, one Apex Legends player – ‘slader111’ – is seemingly dissatisfied with Bangalore’s ultimate, and sought to recreate it against the weapons specialist herself. In a viral clip posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, the player explained that they “decided to show Bangalore what real artillery looks like.” Read More: Predictions for Apex Legends Season 4 – Slader, who is playing Wraith, comes up against the final enemy team, one of whom is a Bangalore. The opponent quickly calls in her ultimate on Wraith’s location, but this only spurs Slader onto the offensive. The player reels off 4 Arc Stars and 4 Hand Grenades in quick succession, with impressive results. Not only do they rack up two kills, but they weaken the final enemy enough that Slader is able to quickly finish them off as they push up. Other players appreciated the counter against Bangalore, but some compared the barrage of grenades to Gibraltar’s ultimate, which features more deadly explosives raining from the sky. Bangalore’s rolling thunder typically isn’t as lethal, as the rockets deal less damage, but will stun and disorient anyone caught in their radius. Projectiles have always been powerful in Apex Legends, but rely on the player being able to use them accurately and effectively. It’s fair to say that Slader did both, and showed up Bangalore with undeniable conviction.

Apex Legends gifting explained: Long-awaited feature coming in Season 15 – Dexerto
Apex Legends gifting explained: Long-awaited feature coming in Season 15 Respawn/EAAt long last, Gifting is finally coming to Apex Legends in Season 15: Eclipse. So here’s what you need to know about sending cosmetics to your teammates. As Apex Legends has continued to grow and grow over the last few years, players have been on Respawn’s backs for a number of highly-anticipated features – with cross-progression, solos modes, and gifting being at the forefront of those. The latter, which has appeared in battle royales like Fortnite previously, was leaked quite some time ago, but started to build pace during Season 14 as leakers got their hands on in-game icons related to gifting. Now, once Apex Legends turns over a new page and Season 15: Eclipse gets underway, you’ll finally be able to gift items to your friends. Here’s what you need to know. How to use gifting in Apex Legends That’s right, the start of Season 15 will mark the arrival of gifting in Apex Legends and it’s going to be a pretty simple process. Basically, you need to have the recipient of your gift on your friends list for at least two weeks – you can’t just send a gift to anyone – and you have to be at least level 10 in-game. From there, you can gift them whatever your heart desires, regardless of whether or not you play on different platforms. You just need to have enough Apex Coins in your balance to send over the chosen gift. You just select the ‘gift’ option on the bottom left-hand side of the screen and you can then surprise them! Have a level 10 account in Apex Legends that has log-in verification – Go to the Apex Legends store and find what you want to send – Select the ‘Gift’ option on the bottom left – Find the friend you want to send the item to – Press the second ‘Gift’ pop-up on-screen and wait for the transaction to complete – According to Respawn’s blog post on Gifting, you’ll be able to send up to five gifts a day and no more than that. Though, it seems you can only send items that are in the Apex Store – not ones you have held on to for a while. That could, of course, change later down the line, but for now, it’ll only be items in the store rotation. Like Apex Legends Season 15: Eclipse, the gifting option will be available from November 1st, so get ready to get into the holiday spirit.

How to use EVA-8 Auto in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto
How to use EVA-8 Auto in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe EVA-8 Auto is Apex Legends’ fast-firing shotgun, dishing out a ton of damage very quickly with the right attachments. Here’s a guide with the best tips and tricks for the automatic shotgun, as well as the damage stats you need to know to push the limits. The EVA-8 has been one of the best most consistent close-range weapons in Apex Legends for a while now, particularly when used in early-game skirmishes. For that reason, you’ll want to master the game’s blisteringly fast shotgun if you wish to secure some quick kills. Here’s everything you need to know. Apex Legends EVA-8 Auto damage stats Just like every gun in Apex Legends, it’s important to know what kind of damage your gun is capable of dishing out. While the EVA-8 may not share the high one-shot potential of the Mastiff or Peacekeeper (due to its lower pellet damage, it is still capable of shredding through even the tankiest of foes. After all, its high rate of fire makes landing multiple shots incredibly easy. Because of the full-auto nature of the EVA-8, players can quickly rack up some pretty decent damage, particularly when the majority of the pellets hit. Of course, like most shotguns, the EVA-8’s damage drops off completely outside of close-quarter engagements. The full damage breakdown can be found below. EVA-8 Shotgun Bolt attachments Arguably the strongest selling point of the EVA-8 is its high rate of fire. This speedy shotgun can pump out plenty of buckshot rounds at a rate of 180 RPM (Double Tap Trigger). This makes landing follow-up shots incredibly easy, which is a bonus if you find it tricky to hit shots with the Mastiff. If you plan on utilizing the EVA-8, you’ll want to try and find an Epic (purple) Shotgun Bolt. This speed-enhancing attachment increases the EVA’s fire rate, which drastically boosts the gun’s damage in close-quarter scenarios. Below you can see the fire rate increase offered from each Shotgun Bolt. Common: +15% – Rare: +20% – Epic: +30% – EVA-8 optic attachments 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 1x Digital Threat – Seek out close-quarter firefights The EVA-8 Auto only shines in close-quarter firefights as its damage drastically drops off at range. Instead, try to aggressively flank your enemies and ambush them to deliver a deadly surprise. Due to the automatic nature of the EVA-8, you’ll be able to effortlessly hit multiple targets with very little downtime between each shot. This makes it perfect in the early to mid-game firefights when very few players have access to the best shields. Combine this with the increased fire rate from the Epic Shotgun Bolt and you have a weapon that can down targets pretty quickly. Pair the EVA-8 with a mid to long-range weapon While the EVA-8 is capable of taking down foes in close-quarter skirmishes, its lackluster range damage can prove problematic. As a result, it’s often best to pair it with a mid to long-range weapon like the R-301 Carbine or 30-30 Repeater. Both of these guns will give you the power needed to sling lead downrange, giving you numerous opportunities to stop squads before they can even get to you. If your enemies duck behind cover, simply rush to their position and get ready to melt them with your EVA-8. This works wonders when you manage to catch any enemies undergoing any lengthy shield or healing animations. Don’t ADS (unless you’re Gibraltar) This may sound like an incredibly simple rule, but it is an important one. Due to the EVA-8’s decent hipfire accuracy, there is little reason to ever ADS — the only reason being if you’re playing Gibraltar so you can bring up your gun shield. If you’re using the EVA-8 as intended, you should never be far from your foe. Aiming down sights can often take the precious seconds you need to down a target, so it’s often best to avoid doing so entirely. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about the EVA-8. If you follow these EVA-8 tips & tricks, you’ll be able to secure more close-quarter kills in no time. For more Apex Legends tips and tricks check out our guides below:

How to use Dual Shell in Apex Legends: New hop-up in Season 11 – Dexerto
How to use Dual Shell in Apex Legends: New hop-up in Season 11 Apex Legends Season 11 is adding a new hop-up attachment to the mix: Dual Shell – suitable for two weapons, that will drastically increase how fast you can chamber a round (or two). Here’s how to use the new hop-up. Hop-ups are unique attachments in Apex Legends, suitable only for select weapons, giving them a distinct advantage. With each new season, developers Respawn Entertainment try to switch things up, either by adding and/or removing hop-ups from the loot pool. For Season 11, the latest addition is the Dual Shell hop-up. As the name implies, this allows you to load two shells instead of one when reloading the weapon, cutting the reload time in half. Dual Shell weapons in Apex Legends So, what weapons can Dual Shell be applied to? Only two: the 30-30 Repeater and the Mastiff shotgun. Both of these weapons load by inserting one new round at a time, a deliberate balancing choice. But, both weapons have fallen out of favor in recent seasons, and so this new hop-up acts as a way to buff both weapons without actually touching their stats. How to use the Dual Shell There’s no magic touch required here, unlike some other hop-ups like the Boosted Loader, which require specific timing by the player. With the Dual Shell, you’ll simply need to find the hop-up on the ground, in loot bins or in care packages, and then attach it to the designated weapon (either the Mastiff of 30-30 Repeater. Then, when you have fired a few shots, you’ll notice that as your Legend reloads the weapon, the ammo count will increase by two, rather than one. Read More: Essentially, your reload time is cut by 50%, allowing you to fire out some 30-30 shots downrange, and immediately load a bunch of rounds in the chamber again. The Dual Shell will be available at the start of Season 11, and you can also pick it up in the Firing Range if you want to give it a shot before heading into a match. Hopefully, this is enough of a tweak to make the 30-30 and the Mastiff more viable choices over their competing weapon options.

How to use Crypto’s drone for an explosive delivery in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use Crypto’s drone for an explosive delivery in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentCrypto’s ability kit in Apex Legends wasn’t designed for the most offensively-minded players, but users have been getting creative with his drone, which instantly changes the Legend’s potential. With anticipation for Season 4 building, Respawn Entertainment launched the Grand Soiree event that brought new changes to characters in the form of various nerfs and buffs. Apex Legends players have been theory-crafting strats with every character’s capabilities, making for some unique tactics and hilarious ingenuity to really throw off the competition on World’s Edge. In a post, Reddit user ‘Francosteiny’ used a bit of teamwork and a cornered enemy Wraith to come up with a “new Crypto strat,” while alo discovering the “drone’s hidden utility” that can send explosive deliveries to opposing squads. Playing as Wraith themselves, Francosteiny threw an Arc Star so that it would stick to the flying drone above them. Amazingly, the successful interaction between the two elements made it so that Crypto’s drone now had a ticking bomb on it, waiting to explode. Knowing where the enemy was holding up, Crypto navigated the drone up to the second-floor balcony, where the special delivery exploded just in time. The explosion dealt 100 damage to the Wraith, immediately breaking the foe’s gold Body Armor and sending them in a panic, seeing as they were cornered against the incoming team. Francosteiny and their team made quick work of the lone Wraith, chalking up the kamikaze drone as a success – though there was a large margin for error, as the user explained everything that could’ve gone wrong with their operation. “To be fair, they have to be super close and the throw/timing is a lot tougher than a person AND you could shoot it down,” they revealed. Still, with the success of the play, the Apex community was instantly impressed, seeing as the strat was equal parts creative and hilarious, all while being perfectly executed. To up the ante, the community started theorizing once again what would happen if you threw in the drone’s EMP. “We’ll have to get the timing down,” Francosteiny said of the timing window between an EMP’s charge and an Arc Star’s explosion. “Start the EMP, throw the arc stars, and then charge! I’d want the EMP to go off first so the stars don’t break the shields and block the EMP damage.” It seems there are still more possibilities to uncover using the Crypto strat, and it’ll be exciting to see what players come up with to change how people use the Surveillance Expert in the Apex Games.

Apex Legends: How to use Crypto’s Drone as a UAV with clever trick – Dexerto
Apex Legends: How to use Crypto’s Drone as a UAV with clever trick An Apex Legends player has uncovered a useful tip that could help Crypto players become the ultimate support, as the Drone can pinpoint enemies from a stationary position. After weeks of waiting, Apex Legends players finally got their hands on Season 3: Meltdown on October 1, as the battle royale title switched to a brand new map, introduced new weapons, and a long-awaited legend in Crypto. The hacking legend, who was hinted at in leaks from Season 2, has immediately become a regular sight in matches as players try their hand at the useful drone and being able to disrupt others with the EMP. As the legend is still relatively unknown, players are finding new uses for him as time goes on – including different ways to operate the drone. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, player akkenatorrr showcased a video from their recent game where they played as the new character, and devised an ingenious use for the drone. With the ring closing in, and akkenatorrr already having the drop on their opponent with a small chokepoint, they placed Crypto’s drone high in a corner where they left it hovering – instead of maintaining control as many players do – just as opponents flooded onto their position. As the enemies were still in full-range of the drone, Crypto and his teammates were able to keep them pinpointed on the map and in their view, as they were highlighted orange and stood out from the background. While the bright green light that Crypto’s Drone gives off can very well highlight its position, placing it in a corner that not many will check – especially given the frantic nature of the final few circles – is a clever play. Seeing as many Crypto players continue to use the drone while it is in the air, being able to settle it down, relieve control, and also join the fight will give you a leg up against those who fight as a 2v3. However, seeing as its range, at the moment, is pretty far, it’s possible that the character could be nerfed in the future, perhaps impacting his effectiveness as a support legend. It remains to be seen if fans clamor for changes and if Respawn drops a balancing patch, but for now, you can use it to your advantage to get a leg up on the competition.

How to use Boosted Loader Hop-Up in Apex Legends Season 10 – Dexerto
How to use Boosted Loader Hop-Up in Apex Legends Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have added a new Apex Legends Hop-Up in Season 10 called Boosted Loader, but it does come at the expense of two other attachments. The game’s next major update lands on August 3, 2021, and we already know a number of changes included in the patch notes. The new Legend is called Seer and his abilities have been confirmed, and there are also some tweaks been made to care packages as well – among other details. One of the most exciting pieces of information for the new season, though, is the introduction of a new Boosted Loader Hop-Up item. Here, we’re going to run through the loot pool changes related to Hop-Ups, how to use the new one, and which weapons it can be equipped to. Apex Legends Season 10 Hop-Up changes The arrival of the Boosted Loader is positive for many fans looking to experiment with a new toy, but it does come to the game as two others are removed. The fan-favorite Anvil Receiver and Quick Draw have been vaulted for the season, with no word on their potential returns. New Hop-Up confirmed: Boosted Loader What does it do? The Boosted Loader Hop-Up gives Apex Legends players a faster reloading weapon. A bonus feature for the attachment, however, is that it can grant you extra ammo if you time the reload perfectly – according to Gamespot. How to get Boosted Loader Hop-Up in Apex Legends The Boosted Loader Hop-Up, like others in Apex Legends, can be found by opening Loot Bins across the Battle Royale and Arenas maps. They can also presumably be found as floor loot, so keep your eyes peeled. Read More: Apex care package weapons for Season 10 – Images of the new Hop-Up are not yet publicly available, but we will add them to this article as and when they are posted by Respawn. Which weapons does the Boosted Loader work with? The Boosted Loader Hop-Up can be attached to both the Wingman and Hemlok in Apex Legends, both of which use Heavy Ammo. How to use baffling balloon juke to get easy kills in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use baffling balloon juke to get easy kills in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn insane juke in Apex Legends has given people a new way to look at the various balloons on the map to make game-changing plays instead of running away. The Apex Legends battlefield can turn on someone at a moment’s notice, which is why top players are constantly refining their movements to find the best ways to take opponents by surprise. While balloons can provide a huge advantage for teams on-the-move, a little creativity can go a long way to embarrass foes. Usually, when players see these balloons that’s because they’re making big rotations or ditching a scenario that’s gone bad. But players like Reddit user ‘CapTee’ have other ideas that make use of the map feature to actually help them out in fights to completely turn the tide for an engagement. During their match, CapTee got fired on World’s Edge by an approaching team without the support from the rest of their team nearby. This obviously prompted the players to abort the loot-finding mission, and retreat to safety – or at least that’s how it looked like. Instead, the Pathfinder jumped back down before reaching the apex of the balloon’s line and landed an insane hook to make a perfect landing behind his previous attackers. After that, it was a simple matter of landing shots to people who probably had their loadout screen opened since they didn’t notice that CapTee actually took the balloon to jettison away. This is a perfect example of using something that Apex already provides in the game for something other than its main purpose. Even though it took a Pathfinder to use the hook for the final sequence of the clip, the trick can be useful for a lot of players looking to catch people off-guard. But just remember that getting to the very top of the balloon’s line will people “launch,” meaning they activate their very noisy jets – not ideal for making sneaky plays. It’s a risky maneuver but players can reap a ton of rewards for mixing up their playbook by adding a balloon juke to their arsenal in Apex Legends.

How to use Apex Legends Gravity Lifts: Locations, keycard, challenges – Dexerto
How to use Apex Legends Gravity Lifts: Locations, keycard, challenges Respawn EntertainmentWith Horizon officially confirmed as the next character coming to Apex Legends, players can use the new Gravity Lifts to boost themselves into the air and rotate around the map. Here’s everything you need to know about the machines, including every location and how to activate them. [jwplayer gX5fVj6e] Respawn Entertainment added a monitor to the Firing Range on October 13, which started to play videos featuring Dr. Mary Somers, who will become the Apex Games’ ninth Legend under her alter-ego Horizon, likely when Season 7 launches. Before she starts competing though, Horizon has some special experiments she needs you to complete. By finishing these challenges, you can use the new Gravity Lifts that have been installed in both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge, which shoot you up into the sky and give you a new rotation option when in the heat of the battle. You will need Horizon’s activation keycard to access these machines though, so make sure you complete the challenges provided by Apex Legends‘ newest character before you head to their locations. How to activate Horizon’s Gravity Lifts Before you actually use the Gravity Lifts, you’ll need to grab the keycard to make them work. First, you’ll need to head to the Firing Range and interact with the monitor, which will then play a special message from Horizon. Leave Firing Range, and you’ll receive a notification that three new challenges have been unlocked, which you need to complete as the next step in the process. Thankfully, these challenges aren’t too difficult so you should be able to tick them off in a couple of games, as you just need to deal with damage in mid-air, get knockdowns, and outlive opponents. The three challenges are: Deal 10 damage while mid-air – Get 10 knockdowns – Outlive 120 opponents – Once you’ve finished these, head back to Firing Range, and you should now be able to open the Supply Bin that sits beside the monitor. Inside, you’ll find the keycard you need to boot up the Gravity Lifts. Apex Legends Gravity Lift locations Now that you have your keycard, it’s time to use it to activate the Gravity Lifts. There are two of these machines on each map, so no matter if you’re playing on World’s Edge or Kings Canyon, you’ll be able to make use of the devices. Both of the Gravity Lifts can be found in the north of World’s Edge, with one sitting in Skyhook, and the other found inside Refinery. When you reach them, you simply interact with the machine and a blue beam of light will shoot out of the pad on the floor, that will rocket you into the sky. The Gravity Lifts are on opposite sides of Kings Canyon, with one located at Airbase on the west, with another sitting in the east, just outside Repulsor. The Gravity Lifts are an extremely handy rotation tool, allowing you to exit an area if the circle is closing, or giving you an escape route if you’re under attack. They won’t remain active for long after use, so other teams likely won’t be able to follow in your beam. The machines also have a cooldown which should give you time to get away.

How to use a custom crosshair while playing Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to use a custom crosshair while playing Apex Legends Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends YouTuber has revealed how PC players can grab themselves a custom crosshair and even use ones from titles like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive without needing to install anything onto their game. When it comes to having success in a battle royale title, you do need the luck of the random number generator on your side – as well as having some skills of your own and the right set-up. Professional players will spend thousands of dollars in order to get a top of the range monitor, keyboard, and mouse in the hopes of getting a leg up but, there aren’t all that many customizable changes that can be made in-game. Players have cried out for custom crosshairs, color schemes, and more, but they haven’t been implemented by Respawn Entertainment. Instead, PC players have to go to different lengths to sort of get what they want. YouTuber Django Plays revealed that there is an app that allows players to add a crosshair to their screen that can be used in Apex Legends without impacting the battle royale itself. The YouTuber noted that the app, which is downloadable online, works in tandem with Apex while you’re playing and allows fans to choose from a wide range of pre-installed ‘crosshairs’ that appear as an image on your screen. This means that your in-game crosshair won’t change, but, you can set something up for yourself. As Django Plays demonstrates, the crosshair image goes on top of your in-game crosshair so that when a gun is recoiling back to its normal position, you can get everything timed right and start to perfect your aim before eventually taking the new crosshair image away. Of course, with this being a third-party app that allows you to change things for a PC set-up, it might be something that Respawn cracks down on if the community voices their concerns about it. Again, though, this is only available to PC players who want to change things up for themselves unofficially. Whether or not the developers will launch an official in-game change, for both PC and console in the future, remains to be seen.

How to unlock Heirlooms in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to unlock Heirlooms in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends heirlooms are the most desired items in the game to collect. With each representing an iconic Legend from the title, and being incredibly rare, players are desperate to get their hands on even one. Here’s everything you need to know about getting heirlooms in Apex. To say that heirlooms are sought after in Apex Legends would be an understatement. For most players, there’s nothing more valuable in-game, and they’ll do anything to obtain one for their main Legend. One of the reasons why heirlooms are so prized is due to their rarity. Respawn has certainly not made it easy for players to acquire one of these items. This means you either have to be incredibly lucky, willing to grind out a lot of Apex – or spend a serious chunk of money. How many heirlooms are in Apex Legends? At the release of Apex Legends back in 2019, only one heirloom existed in-game for the Legend, Wraith. However, since then, Respawn has slowly added more, with the most recent addition being Bangalore’s Cold Steel. In total, there are now 10 heirlooms in-game, and Respawn intends to give each Legend their own unique item. Here’s a list of each of the heirlooms and which Legend they belong to: Wraith – Kunai (A black blade with a glowing purple edge) – Bloodhound – Raven’s Bite (An axe with a glowing red edge) – Lifeline – Shock Sticks (A pair of defibrillator sticks) – Pathfinder – Boxing Gloves (Blue boxing gloves with screens on them) – Octane – Butterfly Knife (A green knife with Octane’s signature stim) – Mirage – Too Much Witt (A golden trophy of Mirage) – Caustic – Death Hammer (A hammer shaped like a skull, equipped with gas) – Gibraltar – War Club (A hatchet with glowing, fire-like elements) – Bangalore – Cold Steel (A pilot’s knife with glowing gold elements) – Revenant – Dead Man’s Curve (A scythe that emits a fiery glow) – Rampart – Problem Solver (A metal wrench with red detailing) – How to get heirlooms in Apex Obtaining your very own heirloom has changed quite a bit since the release of Apex Legends. Initially, players had to open packs with a 1 in 500 chance of getting hold of a random heirloom set. With each pack opened, your odds of receiving an heirloom increased by one, guaranteeing you would unlock an item after 500 packs. Although this meant players who opened countless packs would eventually get an heirloom, it was completely random in which one they finally received. This was changed in February 2020, with Respawn implementing an heirloom Shard system. Instead of just randomly acquiring an heirloom, players instead receive shards that can be saved up to unlock a set of their choice. It’s worth noting that the new system still guarantees players will have enough shards after 500 packs to unlock an heirloom. In their FAQ, Respawn explains that “a player cannot open more than 500 Apex Packs without receiving an heirloom set,” but “once a player owns all of the heirloom Sets, the player will not be eligible for this bonus until more heirloom Sets are added to the game.” Heirlooms in Collection Events However, there is one other way to get an heirloom. Every season, there are collection events in Apex Legends. A new heirloom is typically added with each event. If you collect all 24 items in the collection during the event, you will unlock the newest heirloom. Once the Collection event is over, the heirloom is then only obtainable with shards, or in packs. This means that one new heirloom is added per season too. Currently, the Evolution Collection Event is taking place, bringing Big Maude to World’s Edge and giving players the opportunity to obtain Rampart’s Problem Solver. This hefty wrench makes for a lethal melee weapon and is the perfect collectible for any mains of the Amped Loader. If you’re looking for a closer look at Rampart’s heirloom, check out our dedicated reveal article. How to get heirloom Shards in Apex Legends The only way to obtain heirloom Shards is by opening Apex Packs. Respawn has designed it this way so the items remain rare and exclusive. The best way to earn packs in Apex is to level up your account, but you can also purchase them with real money. Keep in mind you’re guaranteed enough heirloom shards to get one heirloom after opening 500 packs (if you haven’t got any shards after 499 packs). If you’re not interested in splashing out any cash on the game, just playing consistently will eventually net you an heirloom. Of course, how long it takes is completely down to luck, so don’t expect to unlock a set instantly. That’s everything you need to know about heirlooms in Apex Legends. Fingers crossed luck is on your side and it doesn’t take you until pack 500 to receive your heirloom.

How to unlock “free” Pathfinder Heirloom in Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash – Dexerto
How to unlock “free” Pathfinder Heirloom in Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash Pathfinder’s Heirloom set has been released in Apex Legends, and is available for players to unlock during the holiday-themed in-game event called Holo-Day Bash. The Holo-Day Bash event in Apex Legends launched on December 12, adding a new Limited Time Mode, a Mirage Town Takeover, new cosmetic items, and, of course, Pathfinder’s Heirloom set. As with previous Heirlooms, Pathfinder’s set contains three items – a banner pose, kill quip, and melee weapon skin, which is a pair of light-and-dark-blue boxing gloves that mimic the Legend’s AI emotions. It’s currently available for everyone to unlock, but in order to do so, you must first obtain all 24 cosmetic items that were designed and released exclusively for this event. Once all 24 items are in your inventory, the Heirloom automatically gets granted. According to EA’s official announcement, the set is technically “free” since no money needs to be spent on it directly to obtain the three items. “Unlock all 24 Holo-Day Bash Event Pack cosmetics during the event and unlock the Pathfinder Heirloom set for free,” they wrote. There are three main ways to acquire Pathfinder’s Heirloom: 1. Event Apex Packs If you’re not convinced by EA’s “free” argument and want to get the Heirloom set as quickly as possible, opening Event Apex Packs is the cheapest option that requires spending money. Since each Event Apex Pack is guaranteed to contain at least one event cosmetic, opening 24 Packs will yield all 24 required items needed to unlock the set. With each Pack costing 700 Apex Coins, 24 packs would set you back 16,800 Coins, which is approximately $160. 2. Direct Purchase All 24 event items can also technically be directly purchased, although this option would be almost twice as expensive as opening Event Apex Packs. The idea here is to buy all of the event’s cosmetic items from the store. With 12 of them being Legendary (1,800 Apex Coins) and the other 12 Epic (1,000 Apex Coins), this option would end up costing 33,600 Coins, which is about $300. It would seem illogical to go with this method since you can just use those Apex Coins to by Event Packs instead and not only get all of the cosmetics for cheaper, but also get a bunch of non-event items as well. 3. Crafting Crafting, in this instance, is another form of direct purchasing except it involves spending Crafting Metals instead of Apex Coins. Each Legendary item requires 2,400 Crafting Metals while the Epics cost 800. Combined, Crafting all 24 items would cost 38,400 Crafting Metals, which is definitely a considerable amount but might be worth doing in combination with opening Packs if you have a lot of Crafting Metals lying around. Keep in mind that all of these prices are only applicable during the Holo-Day Bash event. Once the event ends on January 7, 2020, the only way to unlock the Pathfinder’s Heirloom set will be to get lucky opening regular Apex Packs. That definitely makes the $160 price tag seem a lot cheaper in comparison, especially when considering that the Bloodhound Heirloom set cost $180 to unlock during the Iron Crown event and Wraith’s has always costed around $500 since it was only ever released in regular Packs. Lifeline’s set, which was released during the recent Fight or Fright event, also cost around $160 because that event was structured very similarly to this one.

How to unlock “free” Octane Heirloom in Apex Legends System Override – Dexerto
How to unlock “free” Octane Heirloom in Apex Legends System Override EARespawn Entertainment have released Octane’s Heirloom set in Apex Legends, which is available for players to unlock during the new System Override Collections Event. Launched on March 3, the System Override Collections Event introduced a new limited-time mode, never-before-seen body armor, cosmetic items, and, of course, Octane’s Heirloom set. As with previous Heirlooms, Octane’s set includes three items – a banner pose, kill quip, and a melee weapon skin, which is a green butterfly knife that players can twirl around their fingers as they zip across the map. It’s now available for everyone to unlock, but in order to do so, you must first collect all 24 cosmetic items that were released exclusively for this event. Once you’ve obtained all 24 items, you’ll be granted the Heirloom in your inventory. According to EA’s official System Override announcement, the set is technically “free,” because you don’t actually need to spend any money to get it once you’ve collected the necessary cosmetics. “If you unlock all 24 System Override Collection Pack Items during the event, you’ll unlock the Octane Heirloom set for free,” their announcement reads. There are several ways to acquire Octane’s Heirloom – Event Apex Packs, Direct Purchase/Crafting, and Shards. Event Apex Packs If you want to get this set as quickly as possible, opening Event Apex Packs is the cheapest option. Since each Event Pack is guaranteed to contain at least one of the necessary cosmetics, opening 24 Packs will yield all 24 items needed to unlock the set. With each Pack costing 700 Apex Coins, 24 Packs would set you back 16,800 Coins, which is approximately $160. Remember, each Pack also contains two non-event items, so you’ll be getting a bunch of other cosmetics in addition to the ones you need. Direct Purchase/Crafting A faster, albeit more expensive way, is to directly obtain these items either by purchasing them with Apex Coins or Crafting Materials. Legendary items cost 1,800 Apex Coins each, while Epic items set you back 1,000. This means that if you were to purchase all of the cosmetics directly, it would end up costing around 33,600 Coins, which is about $300. The other way is to use Crafting Materials; each Legendary requires 2,400 while Epics use up 800. Combined, crafting all 24 items would cost a 38,400, which is a considerable amount. Read More: How new Heirloom Shards work in Apex Legends – Going solely with direct purchasing is not a good idea, since it’ll cost you so much more than to just open Packs. The best approach is to use up any Crafting Materials you have lying around on items, and then acquire the rest with a combination of Packs and purchases – whatever ends up costing you less. Heirloom Shards Shards are part of a brand new system introduced with the System Override event, which essentially allows players to build their way up to the Heirloom of their choosing, instead of getting one in packs that they might not have wanted. Once this event wraps up, the only way to get Octane’s set will be in Packs, which is where Shards come in. Just as with the prior system, it can take up to a maximum of 500 Packs to collect enough Shards to craft an Heirloom. However, the difference is that once you’ve collected enough Shards, you can pick the set of your choosing, instead of having one forced upon you that you might not be interested in using. The System Override Collection Event will wrap up on Tuesday, March 17, giving players two weeks from the starting date to try and unlock Octane’s Heirloom.

How to turn off crossplay on Switch for Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to turn off crossplay on Switch for Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends is finally on Nintendo Switch, and it comes with the option of crossplay. However, if you’d rather not play against players on other platforms, the setting can be switched off. Here’s how. After months of waiting, Apex Legends finally launched for Nintendo Switch players on March 9, opening up the battle royale to a whole new player base. However, the initial impressions have been mixed. Players are, of course, happy to be playing the game on a new platform but the resolution and frame rate leaves them at a disadvantage versus Xbox, PlayStation, and PC players. With cross-play coming as standard on Switch, you can find yourself behind the eight ball against players on these other platforms, though, that doesn’t need to be the case. If you want to play solely against other Apex Legends players on Switch, you can do, and you don’t have to jump through too many hurdles to do so either. Read More: Apex Legends ‘War Games’ event leaked – You simply need to go into the lobby, open your game settings, scroll down to and disable the cross-play beta setting that should be set to enabled. Once you’ve done so, you should be taken out of the cross-play pool right away. However, you might have to restart your game for the setting to take full effect. How to disable Apex Legends cross-play on Switch Go into Apex Legends – Open the in-game settings (cogwheel in bottom left) – Scroll down to Cross-Platform Play (Beta) and disable it – You’ll no longer search for cross-play lobbies – As noted, coming out of the cross-play lobbies will match you up against Switch players only. While this might put everyone on a level playing field in terms of graphics and performance, you might find that queue times take a little bit longer than previously. Respawn should continue to optimize the battle royale for every platform, especially as mobile playtests have begun, so cross-play might become a little more viable in the future. Turning it back on, at that point, will be simple too.

How to turn off Apex Legends crossplay on Xbox – Dexerto
How to turn off Apex Legends crossplay on Xbox Microsoft/Respawn EntertainmentIf you’re looking to turn off crossplay in Apex Legends on Xbox it can be a bit confusing as you need to do it outside of the game. So, here’s exactly how crossplay is disabled on Xbox consoles and how you can stop matching up against PS4 or PC players. In Apex Legends crossplay is a handy feature if you want to play with your friends on other platforms, but sometimes you may want to turn it off. When it comes to Xbox consoles, the process of disabling crossplay in the game is a bit more complicated. To turn off crossplay for Apex Legends on Xbox, you’ll need to do it outside of the game itself, which can make things confusing. So, we’ve got you covered with all the information you need right here. Turn off Apex Legends crossplay on Xbox A post from an EA Community Manager to the Answers HQ forum has detailed exactly how Xbox players can disable crossplay for Apex. To do this, simply follow the steps below: Go to your Xbox settings. – Scroll to Account and head to Privacy and Online Safety. – .Click on Xbox Live Privacy. – Click on View Details and Customize. – Click on Communications and Multiplayer. – Change “You can play with people outside Xbox Live” to block. – Following these steps should ensure you will no longer be placed in matches against PS4 or PC users. It’s worth noting the Community Manager does reiterate that Respawn attempts to keep console players together despite having crossplay: “Console players will normally only play with console folks… however if they add a PC friend to their lobby and queue with that PC player, they’ll go into a match with PC players.” Keep in mind that disabling this feature may increase your queue times when searching for a match. So, unless you think there is a problem when you’re matched up against PlayStation players, we’d recommend you keep crossplay enabled. Hopefully, that’s allowed you to disable Apex’s crossplay feature on Xbox and will ensure your opponents are always on the same platform as you. Apex Legends players slam muzzle flash issues with mock “solution” – Dexerto
Apex Legends players slam muzzle flash issues with mock “solution” Apex Legends players have been complaining about muzzle flash in the game for months, and now some have gone to extreme lengths to try and get rid of the annoying effects. Respawn removed the ability to turn off muzzle flash in a July 2019 update, and Apex players quickly complained that it made it almost impossible to see what they were aiming at, especially at lower frames-per-second. Even though there were numerous complaints about the change, Respawn has kept muzzle flash in the game, which has driven some players to look for extreme solutions. Reddit user Ozqo submitted their own fix as “the muzzle flash fix that’s quickly gaining popularity,” and based on the number of upvotes the post has, they may be on to something. “Go into the video settings of Apex Legends, select “disable ambient occlusion” then press alt+f4,” Ozqo explained. “Uninstall Apex and never play again. So far after doing this, I’ve had no issues with muzzle flash.” Obviously this solution isn’t practical for those who actually still want to play Apex Legends, but it does give a funny look at how the community feels about the invasive effects. As we said before, plenty of Apex players and streamers have complained about losing the ability to turn muzzle flash off, but so far Respawn hasn’t added it back. But besides muzzle flash, the other big issue Apex Legends players have with the game right now is the skill-based matchmaking system. Players have come up with an unorthodox solution for the SBMM complaints as well, and it doesn’t rely on uninstalling the game to work. Respawn devs have defended their decision to implement SBMM in the past, but with fans becoming increasingly upset over the matchmaking system, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some changes made to it in the future.

This maximizes the Wrecking Ball’s damage and allows you to inflict burn damage on any foes caught in its path. Simple Maggie trick gives her Ultimate burn damage As showcased by Apex Legends YouTube Skeptation, it’s possible to turn Maggie’s Ultimate into a fireball if you combine her Tactical with her Wrecking Ball. While the trick is relatively simple, it’s essential that you aim the fire drill at the perfect spot or it may miss her Ultimate as the ball travels extremely fast. To perform the trick, it’s key you follow these steps: Aim your Ultimate at the ground and fire in the direction of a set of enemies. – Wait for it to bounce once, then fire your Tactical into the back of the ball. – The fire drill should lock into the ball if you’ve aimed it correctly. – This should deal burn damage to any enemies in its path. – Although this trick definitely won’t one-shot any opponents, it’s perfect if you see a squad running in an open area and want to maximize your damage. With Maggie’s Wrecking Ball having a rather small hitbox, this also expands the AoE damage that the Ultimate dishes out, meaning you’re more likely to tag a set of opponents. Remember, it’s best to hop into the Firing Range and try this mechanic out in-game before taking it into your matches, as wasting your Ultimate at a key moment could cost you the win.

How to turn Crypto’s drone into a helicopter in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to turn Crypto’s drone into a helicopter in Apex Legends EACrypto’s drone can do so much more than survey an area, as this savvy Apex Legends player found out with their Pathfinder teammate. It’s safe to say that while Crypto’s introduction in the Apex universe was a big hit with fans, his abilities are somewhat underwhelming. His slow-paced, methodical approach is especially difficult to utilize in World’s Edge — where players are ransacking buildings for loot and attempting to avoid the perils of being caught in the Containment Ring. However, one shrewd Crypto user has found a hidden ability of the drone which will likely make the Surveillance Expert much more appealing to the masses. Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, the player highlights just how Crypto’s drone can be used like a helicopter when Pathfinder latches onto it with their Grappling Hook. Not only does this seem like a barrel of fun for the Pathfinder player, it provides a quick way of rescuing the MRVN from a sticky situation. Essentially, all the MRVN has to do is attach their grapple onto the drone and swing around the flight path of the drone (like a pendulum). After gaining some momentum, the Pathfinder can let go of their grapple and propel themselves some distance away from their starting point — ideal for quick rotations or to catch-up with teammates. Since Crypto’s drone has seemingly received a massive HP buff after the big Season 4 update, players will find it especially hard to shoot the drone out of the sky and proverbially rain on your parade. Of course, this would be difficult to deploy when multiple squads are nearby or in an endgame scenario. However, should the situation call for it, squads running both Crypto and Pathfinder have a quick means of escape.

How to triple jump using Octane’s Launch Pad in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to triple jump using Octane’s Launch Pad in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA clever trick with Octane’s Launch Pad in Apex Legends can allow players to fly even further, following his latest buffs in the Lost Treasure Collection Event patch, by using the momentum to perform a secret triple jump. The high-speed daredevil Octane is known for his unique movement-based kit, which includes his Stim and Launch Pad abilities, to help him race around the map when looking for new opponents. While the Legend recently received some buffs in the June 23 update, allowing players to double jump in the air after using his Ultimate, some Octane mains have managed to improve his movement even further with a secret triple jump. On top of Octane’s new double jump, which can change your Legend’s course by switching direction in mid-air, players are now able to fly further by timing an extra jump just as they hit the ground. The unusual trick, which was found by Reddit user u/spingo123, can seemingly be done with any of the Legends after they revealed a clip of some teammates performing the new jump as well. “If you jump after you do a double jump off an Octane jump pad, you’ll get an extra, secondary high jump,” they explained. While we are yet to see what uses this trick might have, the third jump, which resembles a massive bunny hop, takes advantage of the momentum gained from the launch pad to get another little boost of speed and height. However, it is still unclear whether or not Respawn intended to include this feature in the latest update and it may still be adjusted or removed in one of the upcoming patches. This is not the only side effect that Octane’s latest set of buffs have brought about, as Respawn responded to another bug with his Stim ability, which can negate the slow-effect when equipping heals. You can check out the rest of the Octane buffs as well as all of the other changes following the Lost Treasure Collection Event update, in our June 23 patch notes here.

How to tell when your Wraith portal will disappear in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to tell when your Wraith portal will disappear in Apex Legends A useful Apex Legends trick allows you to track exactly when Wraith’s Dimensional Rift will expire. Wraith’s ultimate ability, Dimensional Rift, allows you to create a portal through which anyone can travel in either direction while it’s up. While it can be used simply as a means of travelling quicker, more creative Wraith players can use the portal to dip in and out of battle for a tactical advantage. If you’re using the portal strategically, however, the last thing you want is for it to vanish just as you were hoping to use it as an escape route. Wraith’s Dimensional Rift lasts for 60 seconds once placed. In the heat of battle, however, keeping track of exactly how much time has passed can be difficult, and there’s no direct indicator for when the portal will expire. If you keep an eye on your ultimate percentage, however, you can judge how close you are to the portal disappearing. Ultimate percentage builds at a consistent rate, and in Wraith’s case that means that the Dimensional Rift will expire once her ultimate charge hits 39%. If you’re wearing a golden helmet, however, the number is slightly different. Golden items come with a special effect as well as providing their primary bonus, and in the helmet’s case it’s a reduction in cooldown for abilities and ultimates. This means that your ultimate percentage will increase at a faster rate – roughly 20% quicker, it seems – and so by the time your Dimensional Rift expires, your ultimate percentage will be more like 48%. Equally, if you happen to use any Ultimate Accelerants while your portal is up, you’ll have to account for the 20% bonus that each applies.

How to switch weapons faster in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to switch weapons faster in Apex Legends A useful and simple trick in Apex Legends lets you switch weapons significantly faster. With players in Apex Legends able to boost their total health pool to a maximum of 200 with full shields, it will take plenty of shots from the vast majority of weapons to secure a kill in most situations. Fully-automatic weapons without an extended magazine attachment can quickly drain a clip when engaged with an enemy. Assuming you’re not a human aim-bot, then, there’s a decent chance you might not finish an enemy in a single magazine with your primary weapon. In that event, you then have the choice of reloading, or switching to your secondary. Neither is a particularly attractive prospect while fighting for your life, but if you’re not able to take cover the latter is definitely the superior choice. Even then, however, switching weapons isn’t particularly fast. By default, the weapon-swap animation costs you precious moments before you’re able to fire again, especially if you intend to aim-down-sights. The animation can be significantly sped-up, however, with a remarkably simple trick. Found by Reddit user u/ManishBH73, by crouching at the same time as the swap, the new weapon will be ready to fire noticeably quicker than with the default change. It’s only a small edge, but in a close fight every advantage counts, and making this quick-swap a habit could well end up saving you in a match. Apex Legends has already smashed numerous records for both player-base and viewership, amassing more than 25 million players in record time. Building a repertoire of tricks like this should help you stay ahead of the masses as you strive for victories in gaming’s current hottest title.
