How to get easy kills by “shield swapping” in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to get easy kills by “shield swapping” in Apex Legends Apex Legends players constantly find themselves in hectic situations during a firefight, and one player showed that a bit of trickery with shield swapping could land easy kills. While Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale features various Legends with unique abilities to trick opponents, sometimes players can take matters into their own hands by using some of the game’s mechanics to win out against other people. When a fight breaks down into a chase, the person running away doesn’t always have to be forced to think ‘defense’ – especially if they find a Body Shield lying around that could be put to good use. Low risk, High rewards That’s what Reddit user ‘Metrixx_’ highlighted in their clip in which they showed “why shield swapping is a must,” seeing how it can actually leave a foe open for attack. As they were seemingly third-partying an ongoing battle, the lone player can be seen charging into a whole team – downing two players as the third opponent completely took out his shields. With no armor, Metrixx took off running upstairs, escaping the line of sight for the enemy Wraith. In the second-floor lobby, the player saw a Common Body Shield and quickly swapped out their Epic armor for it. Turning the corner to hide, the enemy Wraith took the bait and switched to the purple armor conveniently waiting for her out in the open. Even with less than half health and a common armor attached, Metrixx felt confident to take the fight against the pursuing Wraith. They knew that the armor was completely depleted since they had manually dropped it moments before. “Excuse me, my friend,” Metrixx quipped explaining his logic for the play. “I must quickly exchange my shield so you may pick it up and get confused as to why it had not worked for you” Later on in the clip, the player reclaimed the Epic Body Armor from the opponent’s death box to find it at full health – which is another trick that Apex Legends players can make use of. As competitors in the Apex Games evolve and refine their tactics, there’s bound to be even more tricks discovered to get a leg up in the game.

How to get Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass for free – Dexerto
How to get Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass for free The first season of Apex Legends is set to begin, but there’s already a way to get the next battle pass completely for free. The Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass becomes available tomorrow, March 19, and is available for 950 Apex Coins. This pricing puts it on par with the Fortnite Battle Pass, which costs 950 V-Bucks. Also like Fortnite, Apex Legends is offering a way to fully fund your future Battle Passes. If players are able to complete all 100 tiers of the Battle Pass, they will be rewarded with enough Apex Coins to purchase the next Battle Pass when it becomes available. This information was confirmed in a Reddit comment by JayRespawn. “Total it’s 1,000 sweet, sweet coins,” he wrote in a comment. This will be good news for budget-minded players, as essentially you’ll only have to purchase the Battle Pass once, and then you can use the currency to keep funding future Battle Passes – assuming the pricing never changes. The news was also confirmed in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “You can get the Battle Pass from the in-game shop for 950 Apex Coins. Plus, you can earn enough Apex Coins through leveling the Battle Pass to purchase the next one without spending one real cent.” On top of the 1,000 coins, players can earn a variety of weapon skins, cosmetics and much more. The Battle Pass is a pretty good deal, and that’s even more so, considering you potentially never have to buy one ever again. If you decide to not pick up the Battle Pass, there are also free rewards up for grabs for everyone.

How to get Apex Legends Pathfinder edition: Skin, weapon charm & more – Dexerto
How to get Apex Legends Pathfinder edition: Skin, weapon charm & more Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends special edition includes a brilliant Pathfinder skin and more cosmetics for everyone’s favorite robotic scout, and we have all the info on how to pick them up. Respawn’s popular battle royale has been, since day one, a free-to-play game, but as with the vast majority of free games out there, it does offer in-game currency players can purchase to unlock exclusive content. The latest cosmetic pack comes at a bit of an ironic time for Pathfinder fans since the legend was significantly nerfed in the Season 5 update, but the fantastic new skin might be enough to convince players to give him another go. Path’s “Full Metal Robot” skin not only gives him pants but is giving us some serious Rambo vibes as well. The enthusiastic character might not be as powerful in Season 5, but he sure is looking good. This new skin is only the tip of the iceberg in this new special edition bundle, there’s also a new Havoc skin called “First Blood”, a Molotov weapon charm, and Pathfinder Badge. How to get the Full Metal Robot Pathfinder skin Go to the store on PlayStation, Xbox or Origin on PC. – Navigate to the Apex Legends section – In add-ons, you’ll see the Pathfinder Edition for $19.99 – After purchasing, you will have 1,000 coins and the cosmetics added in-game – You need to purchase the Pathfinder Edition with the same Microsoft account you use to play Apex on the Origin launcher, so if you have multiple accounts, be sure to use the right one. This might be more than some players are willing to drop on a “free” game, but you’re not just getting the skins and other goodies, players also get 1000 Apex coins with the bundle, which will let you unlock a few skins of your choosing. Though our beloved Path might not be the powerhouse legend he once was, this clever new skin can at least blunt the pain a little. Season 5 is bringing a lot of new skins and cosmetics as it continues, so even if you don’t plan on playing Pathfinder a lot, those 1000 Apex coins could come in handy.

How to get Apex Legends’ Mobile Respawn Beacon in any mode – Dexerto
How to get Apex Legends’ Mobile Respawn Beacon in any mode Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment added the Mobile Respawn Beacon to Apex Legends for the Lost Treasures event on June 23 in the Armed & Dangerous LTM – but it turns out you can get one in any game mode! The Mobile Respawn Beacon does exactly what it says on the tin: rather than having to carry your dead teammate’s banner to a respawn beacon, you simply carry this one around in your backpack and can use it whenever and wherever you want. While this is obviously super helpful, and could often mean the difference between a win or a loss, with players only able to find it in the limited time mode, many didn’t think it was feasible to find one in duos or trios. Now, though, players are slowly starting to discover that it’s very much possible to find one in regular game modes, too, as evidenced here. If you’re looking to find a mobile respawn beacon in either duos or trios, simply follow the steps below and you should have one in no time. The easiest time to pick up the Mobile Respawn Beacon is clearly straight off spawn, so make sure you time your drop right to get ahead of your opponents. Here’s a step-by-step guide on what you need to do to grab yourself one: Head to the bunker located slightly south-east of Salvage (as shown in video) – Drop all the way to the bottom once opened and walk forwards into the open room – Head directly left, down the corridor and through the double doors – Head over to the far side of the room – Pick up the mobile respawn beacon, as well as the gold Knockdown Shield that it is always partnered with – So, there you have it! We’ve tested it a couple of times and, fingers crossed, nobody else is landing there right now, but make sure you take advantage of this as soon as possible before it becomes a well-known spot. There’s also a decent amount of loot in there usually, at least enough for one player to grab a weapon and a solid amount of ammo, so you should be able to prepare for any gun fights that occur around the bunker.

How to get Apex Legends’ legendary Marching Orders skin for free – Dexerto
How to get Apex Legends’ legendary Marching Orders skin for free Apex Legends has launched its holiday event in the form of the Holo-Day Bash and you can get your hands on a free legendary skin for the G7 simply by starting a party. The Holo-Day Bash is Apex Legends’ newest limited-time event – giving players the chance to splash their hard-earned Apex Coins on some special skins, while also diving into the Winter Express game mode. After being leaked in the weeks building up, the event finally kicked off on December 12 and has been chock full of new skins for Legends, as well as challenges that need to be completed. Some are, obviously, much easier than others but some of the easiest even give you the chance to get some eye-catching legendary skins for free. How to complete Apex Legends’ Start the Party at Mirage Voy’age challenge One, in particular, is the challenge to ‘Start the Party at Mirage Voy’age.’ Now, anyone has kept up with the Apex Legends lore will know that the bamboozling legend loves a bit of party – as well as himself – so this is actually a pretty perfect challenge. You don’t have to gather up ten or fifteen players and hit the dancefloor either. Simply work your way up to the floating ship and then hop on to the balcony area that overlooks a dancefloor and stage. There, you’ll find a small screen that will prompt you to start the part by holding down your action button. By doing so, a party sequence will begin – including lasers, fireworks, and even some huge Mirage projections. Now, it’s pretty simple on the face of things, but these parties will attract a crowd as the fireworks and subsequent blasts of music make one almighty sound. If you manage to survive without being swarmed upon by enemies, though, the button will reset after a few seconds of cooldown – allowing others to complete the challenge as well. Once you complete the task and the match, regardless of winning or losing, you should be handed the legendary Marching Orders skin for your G7.

How to get 20+ kills in Apex Legends: YouTuber reveals “best” strategy – Dexerto
How to get 20+ kills in Apex Legends: YouTuber reveals “best” strategy Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer uM9jLDgy] It’s hard to get 10 kills in Apex Legends, let alone 20, but prominent YouTuber ‘The Gaming Merchant‘ revealed the best strategy for you to use, and we’ve got all his tips and tricks laid out for you below. Getting a handful of kills in Apex Legends is pretty standard for most players, but getting 20+ kills is an achievement of its own. The difficulty in getting so many eliminations alters between games, as Airship Pathing plays a part, as well as which of the two maps you’re playing on. One significant issue is player skill since if you aren’t at least Apex Predator rank, you’ll have a hard time even getting into the double-digit mark. In a YouTube video made by The Gaming Merchant, he reveals the best strategy in getting kills in the battle royale. He talks about all of the factors above and how you can utilize a few tips to get that 20-bomb. Choose your map wisely Both maps, King’s Canyon and World’s Edge are different. While World’s Edge features multiple environments and ecosystems, it’s a much bigger map than King’s Canyon. The Gaming Merchant’s strategy suggests picking King’s Canyon because it’s smaller, meaning that it’s easier to hear gunshots, grenade explosions, and other player-caused noises from afar. And if you can hear your opponents, then you have a greater advantage. Additionally, although the Airship pathway is randomized, some paths see reoccurring location choice popularity, which bolsters the chances of getting more kills than usual. Use the Airship pathway to your advantage Airship pathway plays a vital role in this strategy since they’re the direction the dropship will fly over the map at the beginning of each match. For optimal killing, you should keep an eye for it coming from the left side of the map, as most current hotspots and popular locations are located on that side of King’s Canyon, such as Gauntlet, Runoff, Airbase, and Slum Lakes. The Airship pathway plays a major role in determining how successful you will be in your quest to getting 20+ kills. If the path leads from the right, opponents are more reluctant to scatter which is the opposite of what you want if you’re trying to get a lot of eliminations. This scattering is because new players are most likely going to drop near the right side of the map, which contains a lot of the quieter areas, while old players will aim for the popular locations. If you ever face games wherein the path is coming from the right, just play regularly until the game ends. Utilize the Map Room Sometimes you will be unsuccessful in finding many players; since people from different regions play the game at various paces, you might happen to find yourself in a lobby with more conservative or cautious users. For this reason, you should utilize the Map Room, which is located in the bottom right area of the map, and record the statistics of what’s going on all over King’s Canyon, such as where players are gravitating to, their movement patterns, etc. After doing this for about 20 times, you can use the information to gain a better idea about the majority of your region’s drop patterns, based on Airship pathways. However, if you’re going to use this tactic, bear in mind that your stats might no longer apply as well after a few days. Here is The Gaming Merchant’s YouTube video visually demonstrating his entire strategy in action: Obviously take all of this advice with a grain of salt: no strategy, not even the greatest one, is going to turn a below-average player into an Apex Predator overnight. That said, certain aspects of this guide, or the thing as a whole, should definitely help improve one or more facets of your own gameplay, so heed these tips and tricks and get back into King’s Canyon to try them out.

How to fix the movement speed bug in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to fix the movement speed bug in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends bug can leave players moving incredibly slowly, but it is possible to fix it. Apex Legends has been praised for a remarkably painless launch. Despite smashing player records, the game hasn’t suffered from too many major issues in its debut weeks, leading to an enjoyable experience for the majority of players. That doesn’t mean there are no bugs to be found, however, and one in particular can result in a frustrating end to a match. In some cases, players can find themselves stuck moving at a crawl, practically a death sentence in a game that places a lot of emphasis on its fast-paced movement. There are two separate instances that can cause slow movement. One results in a slow-motion effect for every player in the game, a server issue for which there is no solution but to wait for the game to right itself. The other, however, can occur after a player has been downed. Upon being revived, players will occasionally find themselves still stuck at the movement speed that downed players are restricted to. It’s not clear exactly what causes the bug, but it will persist even through abilities that affect movement speed, like Wraith’s Dimensional Rift – the player will be sped up relative to their already slow speed, rather than being returned to the usual pace. Though it’s an awkward fix, there is a way to reset the movement speed: by respawning. Assuming you’re not already in combat, this can be achieved by throwing grenades at your own feet – it’s advisable that you remove your body armor before doing so to speed up the process – allowing yourself to bleed out, and then having your team-mate take your banner to a respawn beacon. Upon returning to the game, your movement should be back to normal. Though this tactic undoubtedly leaves your team vulnerable for an extended period of time, the handicap of the movement speed bug is so great that in most cases it probably is your best option if you hope to continue in the match.

You may have loaded into a game of Apex and noticed something’s off with the lighting, or the textures just aren’t quite right. This is a common issue that has been plaguing players for some time, but luckily, fixing it is fairly simple. Reddit user FrozenFroh shared the straightforward solution as many fans have been struggling with the issue and here’s how it’s done. How to fix Apex Legends lighting and texture issues Unfortunately for console players, this fix is currently only possible on PC, so if you’re having issues on console, you may just have to wait for Respawn to comment on it or, hopefully, release a fix sometime soon. If you are on PC however, then all you need to do is fire up the Origin client, navigate to Apex Legends in your game library, right-click on the game and click on Repair. Really, that’s it. The game should then begin repairing, which will likely include re-downloading some files. This is likely to take a bit of time, depending on just how many files need fixing, so you can sit back and relax while the client does all the work. After the download finishes, you can jump right back into the game and everything should be fixed. Some users have also stated that it fixed the Battle Pass crash bug as well, which is an extra little bonus for anyone having that issue. Now that everything’s fixed, it’s time to explore the new System Override event and get your hands on some of the best all-new Deja Loot.

How to fix Apex Legends DXGI ‘device hung’ error – Dexerto
How to fix Apex Legends DXGI ‘device hung’ error EAFollowing Apex Legends’ big Season 4 update, players have been reporting a ‘DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG’ bug, and Respawn have responded with a temporary fix for NVIDIA graphics cards on PC. Apex Legends players have encountered many issues during its one-year tenure in the battle royale realm. From the infamous code:leaf error, to another DXGI related issue during Season 2. While Respawn have jumped over each hurdle as they’ve come, the team could be doing without additional challenges as they continue to roll-out content for Season 4. However, another bug has been plaguing Legends far and wide. What is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG? According to the error message, the “application’s device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application.” Put simply, there is a breakdown in communication between Apex Legends and the hardware interface (usually GPU), which DirectX is responsible for. Since DirectX essentially pools various application programming interfaces, the software acts as the middle man between NVIDIA’s GPU and the battle royale. As per Respawn’s message in the Apex Legends Tracker, they are “working closely with NVIDIA to help determine the cause of the issue and provide gamers with a solution.” How to fix ‘device hung’ error Download the latest Game Ready Drivers to ensure optimal performance for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Warlords of New York, ARK: Genesis, Apex Legends, 3 new G-SYNC compatible displays and more! 💪 Learn More ➡️ https://t.co/9dTpAElT6H pic.twitter.com/iBzxfJux6x — NVIDIA GeForce UK (@NVIDIAGeForceUK) February 27, 2020 While Respawn has not provided Legends with a direct patch to the issue, there is a workaround and it’s downloading the latest Game Ready driver from NVIDIA. This should solve the issue, but if it doesn’t, then players might have to consider setting their drivers back. As per Garza’s message on the Trello card, plenty of players are experiencing “little to no crashing” when rolling back to earlier versions of drivers. To roll back your drivers, open Device Manager (located in your Control Panel) and locate your graphics card under ‘Display Adapters.’ Right-click and select ‘Properties’ and then go to the ‘Driver’ tab and select ‘Roll Back Driver,’ as shown in the image below. While this by no means permanently fixes the issue, it does offer a temporary solution for those looking to hop into a server while Respawn continues to investigate the issue. Be sure to bookmark this page, as we will update this article with any updates on the error as and when the developers release them.

How to fix Apex Legends crashing: Animated banners cause carnage in Season 10 – Dexerto
How to fix Apex Legends crashing: Animated banners cause carnage in Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has suffered from a number of bugs and errors throughout the years, but its animated banner crashing situation may be the worst one yet. The good news is, there’s an easy fix. The Apex Legends problems continue as a bug that was thought to be resolved has popped back up for many players. Back in September, Respawn began looking into the connection between pre-game crashes and the Epic rarity banners, which feature moving versions of your selected legend. After a short investigation, the devs posted a tweet that suggested the bug had been fixed and that players were safe to re-equip their treasured banners. That hope didn’t last long though, as there have been multiple posts over on the game’s subreddit that seemingly confirm the bug is still alie and well. While Respawn’s effort to take care of this issue might have failed, there are a few things you can do to keep Apex Legends from crashing. Are animated banners causing Apex Legends to crash? How to fix Apex Legends animated banner crash While it’s not possible to totally erase this issue, there are some preemptive measures you can take. The first and most obvious one is to make sure you’ve unequipped any of these banner poses in your inventory. While that may seem like a no-brainer, there’s no worse time to figure out that you forgot one than when you’re in the middle of a blue screen and have to restart your game. The next solution is to play with friends whenever possible. Every person you add to your squad exponentially lowers the probability of encountering the bug and ultimately makes the lobby safer as a whole. While the Apex devs have rejected the idea of Operation Health – a season-long period dedicated to fixing the game’s various issues, similar to what Rainbow Six Siege did in 2017 – it’s clear that the game does have problems to sort out. From the week-long server outages at the start of the new season to character-specific bugs that are close to breaking the game entirely, it seems that the issues never stop in the current state of the title. Be sure to check back in, as we’ll post updates if Respawn finds a permanent fix for this issue.

How to fix Apex Legends crash during character select – Dexerto
How to fix Apex Legends crash during character select Apex Legends players who play on PC have been running into a strange issue which sees the game crash during the character select stage, but one fan has found a temporary fix that should avoid it momentarily. For over a week, players have been suffering from a glitch that sees game crashes if your teammates move their mouse over selected heroes while picking their own Legend, kicking players out of matches and forcing them to restart their game. Now, it appears that one Apex Legends fan has discovered a temporary way to solve this issue, while Respawn Entertainment hopefully work on a solution to the frustrating bug. How to avoid Apex Legends crash while choosing characters According to a post on the EA forums, player Saltyfighter has found a way to escape these annoying crashes while playing the game, and it involves not looking at the game while character selection is underway. According to the player, if you press the Alt’ and ‘Tab’ buttons on your keyboard and change the focus to another window, such as an internet browser or your home screen, you will be able to remain in the game. The player states that while his teammate was crashing at least once every three games before, using this trick allowed him to play over 20 games consecutively without the game ending prematurely. Saltyfighter suggests that you stay tabbed out of the game for the entirety of the character selection, and return once you hear the dropship moving over the map, which should allow you to jump into a match with no issues. Unfortunately, this means you will be at the will of Apex Legends as to which character you will end up with, as you won’t be able to see the character selection screen to choose. It should at least give you the opportunity to play matches rather than watch the game crash though, for those who are desperate to be named Apex Champion.

How to fix Apex Legends CE-34878-0 error on PS4 – Dexerto
How to fix Apex Legends CE-34878-0 error on PS4 Respawn/EA[jwplayer UQowmNq2]Some Apex Legends players on PlayStation have been plagued by the CE-34878-0 PS4 Error Code. Though, there is an easy way to rebuild the system’s database in order to fix it. Just like any other solely Multiplayer game, Apex Legends has encountered a few big problems when it comes to getting into a game. We’ve had the infamous Code Leaf error, DXGI ‘device hung’ problem on PC, and the code 100 error on Xbox. While those specific problems have become pretty rare these days, PlayStation 4 users have been running into the CE-34878-0 error code in recent days and weeks. This issue is to do with the console itself rather than an Apex issue, but it does prevent you from playing. Yet, it actually isn’t all that hard to fix. Step-by-step guide to fix PS4’s CE-34878-0 error code The CE-34878-0 error code forces players to rebuild the database of their PlayStation 4 – which can happen because the console has become bugged and believes you don’t own the game. Rebuilding the database can be much easier than redownloading the affect game, however. You simply have to trigger the console’s safe mode, execute the rebuild database command, and wait until everything figures itself out. Though, to make it a little easier, we’ve produced a step-by-step guide below. Turn the PlayStation off completely – Unplug the power wire from the back of the console and wait for a full minute – Put the wire back in and hold the power button down for ten seconds – Plug your controller into the PS4 via a USB cable – Select ‘Rebuild Database’ from the PS4 safe mode menu – Wait for the update to complete and you should be back playing games – By following these simple steps, the PlayStation will rebuild its database and your screen will look like it is doing an update or downloading a game with a progress bar. Though the warning says it could take a few hours, it shouldn’t take all that long. Once the rebuild is complete, the console may quickly reboot or jump right into its main menu – it depends on how long it takes. Though, you should be able to get back to playing games like Apex Legends again.

If you’ve already found your daily pack, they can still pop out of supply bins – you just won’t be able to pick them up. You just have to go to your quests tab and hit the ‘catch up’ option that appears below the rewards wheel. Each catch-up pack will cost you 25 Apex Coins, but you will still be able to find a free pack in your matches if you haven’t already found one that day. What are hunts in Apex Legends? How to find the Star Wars easter egg hidden in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to find the Star Wars easter egg hidden in Apex Legends Just days after the Apex Legends community found an exciting easter egg on the battle royale’s Firing Range, a Respawn developer has revealed the location of another Star Wars related secret hidden in the game’s lore. Apex fans have been in an easter egg fever in the past few days, after developer Rayme Vinson revealed there were secrets hidden in the practice playlist, and Respawn writer Manny Hagopian joined the fun soon after with a Star Wars teaser. According to Hagopian, who was responsible for much of the writing and lore in both Apex and Fallen Order, there was a secret tidbit hidden somewhere in the game that saw the two franchises crossover, even if in just a small way. Hagopian started the hunt by revealing the existence of the secret, before adding a few clues to the mix, including “His Witt is worse than his bite, but his bite travels a long long time and a far, far metric distance to feed his future,” and “the two may be far, far apart but with the right ingredients they may be related.” After 24 hours of letting players hunt for the egg, the developer confirmed it had been found by one particularly willy player, and revealed the details of the secret for all his followers so they too could enjoy the Star Wars crossover. “We got a winner!” Hagopian declared on December 5 after a player revealed they had discovered the secret. “Mirage’s great-grandfather is named after the lovable food-obsessed pilot of the Stinger Mantis: Greez Dritus.” We got a winner! The rabbit holes our great fans will travel down to find easter eggs is as awesome!” There’s also a few bragging rights heading Apex fan 4wayPen’s way, after they were the first to correctly guess the answer: “It’s not Gryz Witt (Mirage’s great-grandpa) and Greez Dritus (Pilot of the Mantis) having weirdly similar names is it?” It’s not Gryz Witt (Mirage’s grandpa) and Greez Dritus (Pilot of the Mantis) having weirdly similar names is it? — Penpen 🐇🔞 (@4wayPen) December 5, 2019 While Hagopian’s Fallen Order easter egg was a little smaller than the Firing Range secret, there’s no doubt it’s a cool crossover and opens up a lot of possibilities for more of these fun community hunts to continue into the future. And, considering the Star Wars connection has been in the game since before the Fallen Order title first released, it stands to reason there could already be other similar secrets littered through World’s Edge—so keep your eyes peeled!

How to find the Giant Nessie easter egg in Apex Legends Kings Canyon – Dexerto
How to find the Giant Nessie easter egg in Apex Legends Kings Canyon Respawn EntertainmentAn easter egg in Apex Legends spawns a massive nessy in the waters of Kings Canyon, but only after finding Wattson’s smaller nessies throughout the map and in the correct order. This easter egg is still available now, and has been there since launch. Players won’t have long to unlock the easter egg since Kings Canyon will only be available until February 24, and it doesn’t help that finding the nessies basically requires a trio to spread out thin. To spawn the giant nessie, you’ll have to correctly disperse a team across the map to find the 10 nessies in sequence to trigger the easter egg. How to spawn Kings Canyon Nessie in Apex Legends Since the small nessies have to be shot in order from one through ten, it’s important for a team to stay alive, since getting into any fight will have you isolated without the support of your squad. The first thing to do is send one member of the team to the south-central portion of the map while two others go to the northwest and northeast side, respectively. From there, it’s all about speed, effectiveness, and communication to find then shoot them in the right order before the ring closes in. Even though Kings Canyon has changed a lot since Season 1, the nessie locations remain mostly the same, except a couple, so head to these spots: Nessie locations on Kings Canyon In order, the Nessies should be collected: Under the most-northern building in Containment – Down on the cliff-side beside salvage – On the outskirts of Spotted Lake – West of Relay – In the Water Treatment plant – At the Respawn beacon near runoff – At the bottom of the large rocks near Capacitor – Outskirts east of Hydro Dam/south of Swamps – Southeast of Bunker – Swamps – If your team is cutting it close, the player that goes to the south side of the map can reach a bit to collect the ninth Nessie to help out with the progress. But the player that goes for 4,6,8, and 10 are in for a trek around the outskirts of Kings Canyon since they have to start on the north side and make their way south. After taking out a nessies, you should see a ‘A Nessy Appears’ notification in the killfeed, and once the last one has been collected ‘A Nessy Surfaces!’ tag will summon the behemoth. Read More: What is tap strafing in Apex Legends? – As the Apex Legends easter egg gets popular, there are sure to be more players on the hunt for Nessy, and there will be those looking to stop you in your path so be careful.

How to enter Apex Legends third-person mode with Crypto Drone glitch – Dexerto
How to enter Apex Legends third-person mode with Crypto Drone glitch Apex Legends players have uncovered another way to throw themselves into a third-person mode in the game’s Firing Range map. Ever since Respawn Entertainment teased the possibility of there being a major easter egg inside Apex Legends training mode, players have been on the hunt to find secrets and everything else possible. Since that initial hint from the developers, players uncovered a major easter egg that turned the usually static training dummies into actual foes. There have also been ways to reach secret areas, as well as additional character lore, and even some Star Wars-related content. Yet, there have also been glitches that have allowed players to play the game in new ways. The biggest one has come in the form of switching the usual first-person look for a third-person viewpoint – even though you’re only in training mode and it isn’t exactly giving you a leg up on anyone or anything. It’s still a fun thing, though, and there are different ways to trigger it. Yet, the newest avenue to heading into third-person mode comes by the way of streamer fifty1percentnow who was able to utilize Crypto’s surveillance drone to change up their point of view. Quite simply, the streamer managed to kill themselves off and prompt a respawn in the Firing Range cave. From there, they switched from Bangalore to Crypto and pulled out the drone. After hovering the drone for a few seconds and pointing it directly at the ground, the streamer changed legend and was spawned back in with a third-person look. Timestamp for mobile viewers: 1:07 Now, this might just be one of the simplest ways to run about the Firing Range training map with a third-person point of view, but it might not be the last time players get to experience it. A recent leak suggested that a limited-time mode could be in the works, similar to have duo mode has been added in the past. Whether or not it actually happens though, remains to be seen, and it might be an even longer wait to see it added as a permanent addition.

How to enable Nvidia Reflex in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to enable Nvidia Reflex in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/NvidiaAs of October 12, Apex Legends has support for Nvidia Reflex, which allows for better and more responsive button inputs and reduced latency. Here’s what you need to know about the feature, including how to turn it on and off. [jwplayer KEHOOBWR] Nvidia Reflex is quickly slowly but surely expanding amongst the gaming industry right now. While the tech company announced that a limited number of games would take advantage of Reflex, there are still titles originally promised that don’t have the latency-reducing feature. That’s changing for one game, however. Respawn Entertainment and Nvidia have announced that the popular battle royale game Apex Legends is finally getting Reflex after it was originally announced back in September 2020. But what exactly is Reflex and how do you turn it on or off? Luckily, the company has provided answers on just that. What is Nvidia Reflex? In simplest terms, Nvidia Reflex is a technology that reduces latency between the time you click a button and the time the action appears on screen. This time delay is due to a number of different factors but when it’s boiled down, the less latency, the better. There’s nothing worse than missing a shot because of latency and this tech fixes that problem or, at the very least, drastically reduces it. Currently, games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone already support Reflex, so it’s nice to see this technology make its way into other titles. How do I enable/disable Nvidia Reflex? According to Nvidia’s blog post, Reflex is enabled by default with Apex Legends. This means that, if you want to automatically start taking advantage of this feature, you won’t have to do anything. That being said, you may want to disable it at some point. If you do, you can follow these steps in order to turn it on and off. Open the Origin Launcher – Go to My Game Library – Find Apex Legends and right-click the game – Select Game Properties – Click the Advanced Launch Options tab – +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0 to disable NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency – +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 1 to enable NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency – Click Save – As previously stated, this feature is only a select number of games at this moment, so here’s hoping that Nvidia brings it to more titles in the near future. Be sure to keep it locked to Dexerto to find out when it comes to other titles.

How to easily counter Newcastle’s Ultimate in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to easily counter Newcastle’s Ultimate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a useful counter for Newcastle’s powerful Castle Wall Ultimate that completely stops the Heroic Defender in his tracks. Season 13 of Apex Legends is well underway and while players are enjoying all of the new content, it’s the Heroic Defender Newcastle that receiving most of the attention. With a kit that’s completely centered around protecting allies and dragging them out of danger, he’s the perfect Legend for players who prefer adopting a more selfless and supportive role in a squad. Well, this playstyle has proven popular among Apex players in early Season 13, with Newcastle maintaining an impressive 9% pick rate. While this is great news for Respawn, a lot of the community is struggling to deal with the mighty shield bearer’s devastating Ultimate. Luckily, a direct counter has been discovered and it involves the Gravitational Manipular, Horizon. Horizon can counter Newcastle Ultimate in Apex Legends When new Legends arrive on the roster, it’s a race to discover ways of countering and nullifying their abilities. Well, it hasn’t taken players long to find out a way to completely cancel Newcastle’s Ultimate, and it involves using Horizon Black Hole. As showcased on the Apex Legends subreddit, user Car0nix attempts to use Castle Wall to leap to an ally. Realizing this, the enemy Horizon places their Ultimate directly on Car0nix’s landing spot, suspending the mid-air and canceling the placement of the wall. This leaves Car0nix exposed and with no protection to deflect gunfire, making it a useful technique to adopt in your games if you’re taking on a Newcastle. With Newcastle being so popular in the early stages of Saviors, it may be worth locking in Horizon to capitalize on any players leaping in with Castle Wall to save the day. Without the electrified wall to protect them, it effectively gives you a chance to burst them down immediately, Not only that, the disruption and displacement from the Black Hole makes it almost impossible for them to fight back. Don’t forget to check out @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends guides, news, and leaks.

How to easily control R-99 recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to easily control R-99 recoil in Apex Legends Respawn/EAThe R-99 is one of the most powerful weapons in Apex Legends, but it be a nightmare to handle. So, here is an easy way to hone your skills so that you can dominate with the SMG. Like any other battle royale game, Apex Legends has a huge loot pool that players can use to propel themselves. Of course, there is a meta that most fans will stick to, but you can use whatever weapon or items you either feel comfortable with or just come across in-game. One of the most popular weapons is the R-99. The light ammo sub-machine gun is an ever-present in matches, whether you’re playing on Kings Canyon or World’s Edge. However, it does have a pretty powerful kick that can be hard to master. Yet, Apex Legends player TylerSoBored has devised a way for you to hone your skills with the weapon – especially when it comes to being able to control its wild recoil. Instead of trying to figure it out in a match, you want to use the Firing Range training mode and pick up an R-99. However, instead of equipping any helpful attachments, the YouTuber suggests that you keep things stock. By doing so, you’ll learn the basics and then be able to get help with stabilizers and extended magazines later down the line. Then, try to hit the furthest away target with as much damage as possible. According to TylerSoBored, you can simplify the weapon’s up to the right and then to the left recoil pattern by working with semi-circles on either side. By shooting a small semi-cycle to the left and then moving to an even tighter semi-circle on the right, you’ll be able to dish out the full 200+ damage that the R-99 is capable of. Obviously, you’ll only be able to master the weapon’s kick by putting the time and effort in, but it should go a long way in-game. Being able to properly use one of the best weapons in Apex will have you making the jump from bronze to master rank in no time at all.

How to easily control Havoc recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to easily control Havoc recoil in Apex Legends Treyarch/ActivisionApex Legends streamer Svend-Erik ‘Taxi2g’ Høegh has revealed a recoil trick for the Havoc that makes the weapon pinpoint accurate. Recoil control is one the most difficult techniques to master in Apex Legends and one that a lot of the community can never seem to grasp. As a result, a lot of players tend to avoid certain weapons if they have too much kickback, and that’s certainly the case for the Havoc. This energy-based AR is absolutely lethal at medium range and can tear through an opponent with ease in the right players’ hands, but even with attachments, it’s a tough gun to control. Luckily, streamer Taxi2g has explained exactly how to stay pinpoint accurate with the gun, making it easy to land every single bullet. How to control Havoc recoil in Apex Legends During his stream on March 27, Taxi2g shared a recoil trick for the Havoc that completely eliminates the gun’s recoil and makes it pinpoint accurate. While he still recommends players jitter-aim with the AR at long range, when it comes to close-quarters, Taxi advises players to move left or right while firing. Although it seems extremely simple, maintaining constant horizontal movement with your camera while firing negates the majority of the weapon’s kickback. Of course, this will take a little practice, but it does mean there’s no need to learn the Havoc’s hefty recoil pattern. Taxi goes on to say that this close to medium range technique can be utilized with every single weapon in the game, but it’s particularly effective with the Havoc. If you’re looking for long-range practice, consider checking out our Flatline recoil guide that outlines exactly how to jitter-aim and maximize your damage from a distance.

How to easily control Flatline recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to easily control Flatline recoil in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player and Twitch personality Trenton ‘lou’ Clements has revealed a recoil trick for the Flatline that makes the weapon pinpoint accurate at long range. Learning and mastering weapons in Apex Legends can be tricky, especially with so many of the guns being difficult to control with no attachments. Players will often leave heavy ammo weapons on the ground and go for an alternative that has less recoil. One weapon that often gets left to the wayside is the Flatline, with players preferring to use a Volt or R-301. Well, an Apex Legends pro player has shown off a simple trick for the Flatline that completely nullifies the gun’s recoil pattern. Simple Apex Legends Flatline recoil trick During his May 10 Twitch stream, Apex Legends pro player lou showed off a simple trick that he uses to control the Flatline’s recoil. While most players simply pull down to control the kickback of the Flatline, lou draws tiny circles with his scope as he’s firing. This completely nullifies the gun’s recoil and makes it unbelievably accurate. He even demonstrates the technique on stream, showing exactly how it can be replicated in-game to beam enemies from a distance. A player even made a thread on the Apex Legends University subreddit showing them using the trick and it’s garnered over 4,000 upvotes. Read More: How to play Loba in Apex Legends – Using the Flatline on the firing range, kono_dio_da351 shows how precisely accurate lou’s tip makes the Flatline at long-range. There’s no doubt it will take some practice to completely master this mechanic, but it’ll definitely help you rack up a lot more damage in your games. If you’re looking to take your skills with the Flatline to another level, this is definitely a trick you should consider learning. Hitting shots at long-range can be the difference-maker before you and your squad go for an aggressive push. The Flatline may not be the most popular weapon in Apex Legends, but this tip certainly makes it an effective choice in any match.

How to easily complete 10,000 meter skydive challenge in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to easily complete 10,000 meter skydive challenge in Apex Legends EAAs part of the Grand Soriée event in Apex Legends, players have to skydive 10,000 meters to complete a challenge. Here’s how to easily complete it in a matter of minutes. Apex Legends’ Grand Soirée Arcade Event is in full swing, and as part of the blast back to the Roaring Twenties, players are able to dabble in a variety of LTMs. After getting underway by bringing back the widely popular ‘duos’ game mode, the Apex Legends community is excited to get stuck into all that the Grand Soirée has to offer. Alongside the plethora of game modes on offer, Respawn have taken things one step further by providing challenges for players to complete while running rampant in the Apex Games. One such challenge is to skydive 10,000 meters in the ongoing ‘LIVE.DIE.LIVE’ game mode, which allows fallen teammates to respawn on allies when the circle closes in. While on the surface this would be a chore to complete, one player has discovered how to use their environment to their advantage. World’s Edge’s dynamic domain and changing climate has provided players with new ways to traverse the map. One such feature are geysers, which have their own dedicated location on the map. Each geyser will work akin to a Jump Tower, meaning that they will catapult players into the sky and prompt the skydiving animation. By constantly doing this in a loop, players will soon be able to tick this pesky challenge off their list — as ‘ChrisRevillas’ pointed out to the Apex Legends subreddit: “I got over 6,000 meters traveled in a couple minutes in this one match.” If you’re yet to complete this challenge though, you’ll need to hurry, as ‘Third Person Mode’ kicks off when game modes refresh on January 18, and new challenges will come in. However, with some players unable to claim their challenge rewards after the most recent update, you might prefer to just crack on with normal games.

How to drop faster in Apex Legends following v1.1.1 patch – Dexerto
How to drop faster in Apex Legends following v1.1.1 patch Respawn Entertainment / EA GamesThe v1.1.1 patch for Apex Legends is already changing up how players approach the battle royale including the way they drop down to King’s Canyon at the start of a match. Battle royales typically employ a form of dropping into a map to get a game underway, and for a long time Apex Legends players had the best way to do it figured out. But players are starting to turn a new leaf as changes in the latest patch have revealed a much faster way of making landfall fist. A graph of how to get the best landing time before the v1.1.1 patch. Dropping faster after the v1.1.1 update In what will assuredly be great news for people who didn’t bother perfecting their jump routine, it looks like going straight down to one’s targeted destination is overall faster than dropping early. “Due to the change in speed of the drop ship you’re better off just waiting till you’re directly over the LZ to drop instead of dropping 900-1100 meters before the LZ previously,” Reddit user ‘DestroyYesterday’ said. “If you wait to drop you’ll get there 3-5 seconds earlier and that can make all the difference.” At the tail end of the patch notes, the devs did mention that they increased the speed of the Jump Ship “by about 50%.” That’s a pretty significant change of pace from the pre-patch version, and it’s now opening the door to newer and bolder strategies. What was the best way to drop before the patch? Players used have to measure out the distance from the Jump Ship to their desired location, then proceed to alternate between diving and leveling in order to drop onto the ground the fastest. A terrific graph by Redditor ‘Blake_Unlively’ showed exactly how to get achieve the best drop time at the start of each match. Even though that method produced tried and true results, it wasn’t the most user friendly since there was a slight learning curve to overcome. Seems like the new patch introduced a faster way of touching down to the ground first! Information like this is crucial to know since it could be the prevailing factor for a squad being fully looted up before the mad scramble of other players touching down to the landing zone.

How to drop faster in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to drop faster in Apex Legends A big part to any battle royale game is making sure you get a good drop and Apex Legends is no different. Follow these tips to make sure you are able to hit the ground fast and get to looting. Apex Legends is like other battle royales in a lot of respects but it also offers enough differences to set it apart from the rest of the pack. One thing that Apex Legends does differently is that it makes the entire squad jump at the start of the match together, with the Jumpmaster leading the way. Players are able to break away from the Jumpmaster and choose their own landing spot but that will oftentimes result in their death so it’s smart to stick with the group. There are a number of ways players can maximize their landing and this Reddit post has shown the best way to drop if you want to hit the ground before any other teams. User Blake_Unlively created the graphic above and it shows when to drop, when the level, when to dive, etc. as you work to hit the ground as fast as you can. He says your drop distance depends on the plane trajectory, elevation of the destination and if there are any mountains in your way as you descend towards the ground. It’s worth mentioning that your speed going directly down will the fastest if you’re high up in the air and the closer you get to the ground, the slower you will end up going. Blake_Unlively suggests dropping straight down and then level out at 145-150m before diving again at around 140m, essentially you just rinse and repeat this method until you hit the ground. Getting to the ground first is very important as that means you’ll be able to start looting before anyone else and that makes a huge difference in the early-game portion of Apex Legends. Using these tips will help you get that early edge which could end up being the difference between life and death.

How to download Apex Legends on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – Dexerto
How to download Apex Legends on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has well and truly taken the gaming world by storm since its launch, but if you’re still yet to try it out, we’ve got everything you need to know about getting your hands on the popular game. Over 50 million players, across PC, Xbox and PlayStation 4 have taken part in at least one game of Apex Legends since the game’s release on February 4. However, if you’re still in the minority of gamers who haven’t yet downloaded the free-to-play title and drop into Kings Canyon, here’s what you need to know. How to download Apex Legends on PC Apex Legends is only available on PC through EA’s own Origin platform – similar to Steam. Like with any platform, it’s very easy to create an account. Simply click the white box that reads ‘register’ to the bottom left-hand side of the Origin page. After filling in the necessary boxes and confirming that you are a real person behind the account, you’ll be taken back to Origin. There, you can return to the Apex Legends page and click the orange box that says ‘Get the Game’ at the top of the page. Once that has been clicked, the game will begin downloading, so long as you have the required 22GB available, and you can kick back and wait for the download to complete. The time this takes will obviously vary based on your internet speed, but once that’s finished, the game will start up and drop you into the main loading screen. From there, you can enter the initial tutorial that will show you the basics around Kings Canyon. Once that’s done, hop into a game against other players. How to download on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Getting the game on either PlayStation or Xbox One is slightly easier than needing an Origin account. As long as you’re a paid-up member of Xbox Live or PlayStation plus, you can access the game. All you have to do is head to your respective console’s marketplace and locate Apex Legends. The popularity of the game has made this slightly easier to find right now, compared to the day of release – as the game now takes pride of place on both stores. Head to the Apex Legends page, hit download and wait for the game to install. The current space needed to download on PS4 is 23.09GB, with Xbox version coming in at a slightly lower size – 22GB. What specs are needed on PC? This game might be free-to-play, but you’ll need a pretty slick set-up to be able to run the game at the recommended level. Of course, the game can always be run in lower settings but you’ll be at a disadvantage when coming up against other players. Below are the minimum and recommended PC specs that EA has laid out for Apex Legends. Minimum PC specs: OS: 64-bit Windows 7 – Processor (AMD): AMD FX 4350 or Equivalent – Processor (Intel): Intel Core i3 6300 or Equivalent – Memory: 6GB – DDR3 @1333 RAM – Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7730 – Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GT 640 – DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent – Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection – Recommended PC specs: OS: 64-bit Windows 7 – Processor (AMD): Ryzen 5 CPU or Equivalent – Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 3570K or Equivalent – Memory: 8GB – DDR3 @1333 RAM – Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ R9 290 – Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 – DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent – Online Connection Requirements: Broadband Connection – Taking the time to download and get to grips with Apex Legends has to be worth it, considering the huge player base that has already done so. How to Double Pump in Apex Legends – new Peacekeeper exploit makes it easy – Dexerto
How to Double Pump in Apex Legends – new Peacekeeper exploit makes it easy A new exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that is allowing players to ‘double pump’ without having to do through some difficult or elaborate process. What is Double Pumping and how does it work? The term ‘double pump’ is a commonly used to describe a mechanic in shooter games that allows players to rapidly shoot with two pump-action shotguns and avoid the small delay that occurs when one is fired. Interestingly enough, double pumping in Apex Legends has never required two Peacekeepers, and instead has relied on an exploit that minimizes the animation between each shots to make the fire rate a lot faster. Either way, when used correctly, this method combines the power and damage potential of a pump shotgun with the fire rate of an automatic shotgun, which is why it’s considered to be very overpowered. How to Double Pump in Apex Legends On April 2, YouTuber ‘Skeltano,’ who is known for discovering numerous exploits in Apex Legends, posted a video describing a new method to easy double pump. The first step is to make sure that you know which buttons you have assigned for melee, Ultimate Ability, and Ping, which are set to V, Q, and the middle mouse button by default. Read More: Dizzy and co. win $150,000 Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Rematch Challenge – recap, highlights, final placements, MVP – With the Peacekeeper out and ready, to double pump you simply have to shoot, press the three buttons mentioned above, and shoot again, continuing to press the three buttons immediately after every shot to allow for a fast fire rate. A demonstration of this technique in action can be seen in the video below: How is this better than the previous Double Pump method? Prior to the discovery of this new Peacekeeper exploit, there already had been a way to do double pump in Apex Legends, but the process was a lot more difficult to execute each time. The previous method was a lot more timing-based than the new technique, so if you did not time the button combination exactly, the double pump would not work, and this lack of reliability made the method a lot less viable during gunfights.

A lot of factors can swing these engagements one way or another, such as the weapons that are being used, and the gun skill of the players involved. One thing to do during gunfights in order to gain an advantage is strafing. This obviously forces your enemies to be more accurate since you’re a moving target, and it can inevitably lead to more missed shots than if you had been standing still. Read More: Apex Legends play finds sneaky sniping spot – There’s a reason that one of the more obvious distinctions of higher-skilled players is that they never stand still when they shoot – something that newer players have the tendency of doing often. Easy but powerful Apex Legends strafe technique One of the more obvious ways to strafe is to constantly move left and right, but that can be too predictable, especially if you’re facing off against someone who knows that as well. That’s why there’s another strafing option, one that puts your character in motion in all directions – forward, backward, and side to side. In order to do this, you simply have to press your movements keys or move your joystick in either a clockwise or counterclockwise order – so W, A, S, D or D, S, A, W. It might be effective to switch the order mid-gunfight in order to further throw off your opponent. Read More: Is a Dual Wield Hop-Up coming in Season 4? – What this does is, instead of limiting your strafing to just left and right, you create a whole flurry of motion with your character, and it’s been proven to work well against most opposition. A visual demonstration of this can be seen in the video below, courtesy of popular Apex Legends YouTuber ‘TheGamingMerchant.” Especially effective with Wattson As The Gaming Merchant alluded to in his video, this method is actually effective even more so with Wattson than most of the other Legends. For some reason, Wattson’s on-screen figure strafes more than the others if you continually press W, A, S, D or rotate your joystick. The only other character whose strafing level compares to Wattson is Wraith, mainly because of her slender body-type. Of course, that’s not to say this technique doesn’t worth with other Legends, because it does, and quite well. It’s just that the Season 2 character seems to be the best to use it with for reasons unknown.

How to create the perfect Caustic vault trap in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to create the perfect Caustic vault trap in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players were gifted a new map with the release of Season 3, giving the game a breath of fresh air. One thing players have been missing are Caustic bunker traps, but they’re back thanks to the World’s Edge vaults and here’s how the perfect way to do them. Season 3 bought one of the biggest changes yet to Apex Legends, as the game moved to a whole new map with a variety of new and unique mechanics. However, one player wanted to turn back the clock and relive the glory days of Caustic and made use of the vaults to trap players in a bunker-like situation, engulfing the room in his toxic gas. Reddit user -Cyndaquil- shared his incredible play on October 14, proving that the toxic trapper can still shine. The player set up a few Gas Traps in a vault and hid on the high ground, waiting for an unsuspecting squad to run in. He was rewarded shortly after, when two players charged in for the loot, missing the Caustic completely while he threw extra traps toward the entrance. He then threw down his ultimate while his traps activated, engulfing the room in gas while his opponents scrambled for a safe place. One attempted to hide in the corner while another made a break for it, only to be shot down just inches away from salvation. Cyndaquil then finished off the final enemy in the room before running out to find the final member of the squad. It was an easy clean-up as his third opponent was in the middle of reviving his teammate, giving the Caustic an easy squad wipe along with a tonne of uncontested loot, including the gear that was already in the Vault. He then shared the rest of the game, where he was able to take out multiple squads and secure first place, all off the back of the fantastic Caustic trap. If you want to trap players in your games, it’s definitely worth taking a page out of Cyndaquil’s book.

How to counter Wraith & Ash portals with Loba in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to counter Wraith & Ash portals with Loba in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA useful trick has been discovered for Loba that allows her to counter and destroy Wraith & Ash portals in Apex Legends. Unlike Caustic and Crypto, Loba didn’t receive any changes in the Defiance update and is currently sitting as the thirteenth most popular Legend in the game. Despite her relatively low pick rate, the Translocating Thief does have a dedicated group of mains within the community that has mastered her kit completely. As a result, useful interactions and tricks are always being discovered by Apex players, and a new one involving Loba’s Ultimate had made her the perfect counter against Ash and Wraith portals. Loba Ultimate counters Ash & Wraith portals Showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber 1800-Prez, a new interaction has been discovered involving Loba’s Ultimate that allows her to destroy portals. The trick is incredibly easy to execute and just requires players to place Loba’s Black Market on top of a portal opening. This will immediately shut the portal down and kick any players out who were traveling through it. It’s hard to know whether this interaction has been deliberately added to the game, or it’s a bug that has arrived with a past update. Either way, a lot of the community are calling for the trick to be left in the title as it gives Loba mains a useful counter against Wraith & Ash. While this trick definitely won’t cause Loba’s pick rate to skyrocket, it is a useful interaction that can be used both aggressively and defensively. Whether it’s closing down your own Wraith’s portal to stop a set of enemies chasing or destroying the portal of an opposing squad to stop them from traveling the full distance, it’s certainly a trick worth having up your sleeve. However, with no clarification that it’s even meant to be in the game, it’s possible Respawn opt to remove it in the near future.

How to counter third-parties in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to counter third-parties in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentThird-partying will always be an issue in Apex Legends, but what steps can you take to counter it and stop it from happening in your matches? Here’s some tips to avoid getting targeted by another team. Dying to a third party in Apex Legends will always be a frustrating experience, especially if it feels like it seems to happen in every single one of your matches. The problem is arguably worse since Season 10, with the new Legend Seer being able to detect enemies from 75m away. While there’s no way to completely stop third parties from intruding in your gunfights, there are a number of steps you can take to counter pesky teams that decide to turn up uninvited. A lot of the tips are relatively simple, but they’re all key and important if you want to reduce your chance of dying to a rogue third-party squad. 1. Communication is key Although it’s likely you’ve heard how important communication is before, it’s absolutely essential when it comes to dealing with a third party. Whether you think it’s best to stay in the skirmish or back off so the other two squads can fight it out, none of it matters unless you and your teammates are on the same page. Remember, keep communication concise and make sure what you’re saying is important. While outlining everything that’s going on can be positive, it can also confuse your teammates and drown out comms. The most significant calls will always be the location and health of an enemy Legend, this will give your squadmates opportunities to pick off opponents and hopefully, take down the third party. 2. Don’t always stay in the fight When a third-party squad shows up, a lot of players take the route of staying in the skirmish and attempting to fight both sets of enemies. However, this isn’t always the best decision and can often result in immediate elimination from the match. Sometimes, a great strategy can be to escape the chaos of the third party and let the squad from your initial gunfight take the brunt of the damage. Looping to a different position following this retreat can be an effective tactic, and allow you to capitalize on the weakened members of the fighting squads. Of course, this won’t always be a possibility, but keep in mind that falling back and re-positioning is always an option, so use it! 3. Prepare armor swaps from deathboxes Presuming you’ve killed a few members of the initial squad, it’s key you pull out their armor from the deathboxes and lay it on the ground. This will make it easier for you to restore your armor once the third party pushes aggressively, and will save you valuable seconds that can be used to maximize your damage. If you know a third party is closing in on your position, this is a must-use tip that is guaranteed to help you come out on top and thwart their attack. 4. Avoid bottleneck and dead-end locations on the map Positioning will always be a key skill in Apex Legends, especially when navigating the final few circles. This is no different when trying to prevent third parties, as taking a gunfight in a dead-end or bottleneck could result in you being trapped, making it impossible to escape. As mentioned above, it’s always great to have the option to retreat from a third-party attack, and re-appear in a more advantageous position. However, in certain areas of each of the maps, this isn’t possible and will result in the third party easily wiping both you and the squad you were initially fighting. Avoid these places, and make sure you have an escape route in mind. If you have an Octane or Pathfinder on your team, use their Ultimates for the quick escape. So, there you have it, there are a few tips you can take into your Apex matches to combat third-party squads. While no trick will ever solve the problem completely, there are certain tactics you can use to increase your chances of coming out on top. Don’t forget to follow us @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news and guides.

How to counter Revenant’s Ultimate in Apex Legends with Caustic trick – Dexerto
How to counter Revenant’s Ultimate in Apex Legends with Caustic trick RespawnApex Legends has been hit with a long-awaited update – Season 4: Assimilation. One of the biggest talking points of the new season is the latest Legend, Revenant, and players have already found a neat trick to counter him. Revenant is a unique Legend that comes with both a ‘silence’ ability as well as a way to defy death through his ultimate, Death Totem. This ability allows players to survive an otherwise killing blow, as they return to the totem if they lose all of their health, rather than being downed. However, some fans have already figured out a great counter to this and here’s how to do it. How to counter Revenant’s ultimate in Apex Legends If you want to counter Revenant and his ultimate you’ll only need one thing – Caustic. Whenever you see an enemy throw down their Death Totem simply place a gas trap right next to it, and as soon as anyone teleports to the totem they will be instantly downed. This only works with Caustic because players under the effect of Revenant’s ultimate only take health damage, so they will still have their one health and shields up when they teleport back, meaning they can still act. However, Caustic’s gas trap will instantly do one hit point of damage, rather than shields, knocking them down. Of course, it can be rather difficult to get close enough to the totem to actually place a trap, but if you attempt to do it, it’s likely to be well worth the risk, especially as many players still aren’t used to the Legend, never mind his counters. Now that you know this trick, playing against the newest hero on World’s Edge will be easier, and you’ll have the satisfaction of getting one over on him.

How to control spray patterns and recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to control spray patterns and recoil in Apex Legends All guns have different recoils in Apex Legends. Learn to control your spray with this chart showing where your bullets go. On the surface, Apex Legends looks a lot like your traditional battle royale game but Respawn does just enough to set it apart from the competition. One of the ways it does so is by offering a vast array of weapons instead of the traditionally named guns you see in a game like Fortnite. Each weapon operates in its own way in Apex Legends so it’s important to know the ins and outs for each of them. For example, there are several different assault rifles in the game that each operate differently from the others. These guns all have different sprays but this guide will help you control and learn different patterns, allowing you to deal more damage to enemies. How to control your weapon spray in Apex Legends The chart, which was posted to Reddit by user potatoddas, shows the normal spread of your bullets if you just hit the trigger. What’s important to note is the chart also shows how players can control their shots depending on how they move their mouse or analog stick. Take the G7 Scout, for example, if you drag the mouse down as you take shots it will make the shots more accurate as you adjust for the recoil of the weapon. This results in dealing more consistent damage to your enemy and could be the difference in winning a battle and losing one. Some guns are still just better than others Of course, hitting all of your shots might not matter with some of the guns. Yes, we’re looking at you, Mozambique. Nonetheless, this chart will certainly be of help for anyone looking to rake in more wins during Season 1 of Apex Legends.

How to control Apex Legends shotguns using spread patterns – Dexerto
How to control Apex Legends shotguns using spread patterns Shotguns may not always be your weapon of choice in Apex Legends, but having one in your back pocket can save you in a tight situation. Learning how to control them and use them best will be a life-saver. Unlike SMGs, which are your other option for close-range fights, shotguns don’t have a recoil pattern, but instead a spread pattern. One tap of the fire button will send out a number of pellets, depending on which shotgun you’ve got. The weakest, the Mozambique, fires three, while the Peacekeeper fires 11. However, there is more to the puzzle than this. In addition to knowing the number of pellets and their spread, you may not have been aware that aiming down sights (ADS) actually drastically impacts some shotguns. It’s very easy to see the shotgun spreads, simply by going into the firing range and testing them out. Apex Legends shotgun spreads (Not ADS) When aiming down sights though, two of the shotguns, Mozambique and Mastiff, have much tighter spreads. In theory this means you will hit more of your pellets on the target, especially if they are more than a few meters away. Apex Legends shotgun spreads (ADS) The Mastiff’s spread is almost halved, and this effect would be exponential the further away your target is. Clearly, you’ll want to pretty much always ADS when using a Mastiff, and the Mozambique too (if you don’t immediately drop it!) Meanwhile, the Peacekeeper and EVA-8 remain pretty similar regardless of hipfire or ADS, but this changes if equipped with a precision choke. With the choke, aiming in will reduce the spread significantly, up to three levels, and can turn the peacekeeper into a sniper-like weapon. Read More: How to master the Mastiff in Apex Legends – This is why the Peacekeeper is still the shotgun of choice for most, as you won’t feel stuck at such a disadvantage even if the enemy is 10 meters away. For other weapons, make sure to check out our recoil / spray pattern guide, to manage their predictive recoil.

How to consistently get the best drops in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to consistently get the best drops in Apex Legends Every game of Apex Legends starts with the same drop mechanic most battle royales employ, but a simple technique could vastly improve players’ ability to get on the ground before anyone else. The beginning of an Apex Legends match sees players racing to the battlefield from above and by using an alternating pattern while plunging onto the map, players can get to the best loot quicker than their competition. In a Reddit post, ‘TheBigSm0ke’ explained how the routine and simple way of dropping onto the map is inefficient, while also giving players the optimal way to make their descent to the map. TheBigSm0ke suggests dropping straight down until hitting roughly 145 units of speed, then pulling up to a glide until reducing speed to a 130-135. Repeat the steps one more time, until the player is over their destination where they should drop straight down. Typically, players think that a the quickest way to the floor is a straight path to their destination, however this method leaves players “floating” which significantly increases the time to hit the ground. “Moving diagonally from the drop ship puts you into a float and slows your descent and lengthens the time it takes you to get to the ground,” TheBigSm0ke said. Moreover, the technique can provide longer travel distances of up to 1000m from the initial drop point, according to some players. TheBigSm0ke compared it to how PUBG’s drops used to function before they got a rework, and the mechanics can basically be transferred over to Apex Legends.

How to connect Razer Chroma to Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to connect Razer Chroma to Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment / RazerRespawn Entertainment has released the long-awaited Season 1 update for Apex Legends which brought with it an insane amount of support for the Razer Chroma line. Razer is known for their cutting edge PC peripherals ranging from keyboards to mice, but even more so for their Chroma products that look awesome while adding another layer of immersion to titles. Now because of the latest update to Apex Legends players can sync up their peripherals to the battle royale enabling incredible effects depending on what’s happening in the game ranging from taking damage to the progress of an item when healing. To do this, players will have to update their game to the latest patch. If the products don’t immediately sync to the device, players can go into the Synapse app and manually enable/disable in the ‘Connect’ tab. Upon doing so players should be greeted with impressive RGB displays when loading up a match of Apex Legends. Just being inside the character select screen gives off dazzling displays tailored to every character, including recent addition to the lineup Octane. When making the jump down to King’s Canyon, there will be a rippling effect across the keyboard that should mirror a player’s smoke trail. While actually looting, every pickup will send a signal to the Chroma products with a corresponding effect. The colors of the effects changes based on the type of loot that’s being acquired. Respawn’s battle royale released with detailed graphics as well as crisp sounds, and the integration of Chroma support will only increase the engrossing atmosphere in Apex Legends.

How to complete Bloodhound Apex Chronicles event: Old Ways, New Dawn Respawn EntertainmentA new form of story event is coming to Apex Legends with Bloodhound getting the first quest line with the ‘Old Ways, New Dawn’ missions. Here’s how to complete Bloodhound’s Apex Chronicles event. At this point, Respawn Entertainment are known for weaving intricate stories behind every one of their characters. There’s been everything from their Stories of the Outlands series to in-game Town Takeovers that celebrate Legends’ lore. In Season 5, the devs even released the Broken Ghost quest line that changed the game of how Apex’s events unfolded for players. The studio is now introducing “bite-sized story events” inside of the battle royale with Apex Chronicles. The first will star the Technological Tracker as they “try to save an injured prowler and deal with the guilt over their crumbling homeworld and past failures.” Bloodhound’s Apex Chronicles release date Apex Legends’ first Chronicle event will launch on September 29 for all platforms. From there, people who drop into a non-ranked battle royale match on World’s Edge as Bloodhound will have the option to trigger the side quest. How to complete Bloodhound Old Ways, New Dawn missions Prologue The first mission will start every player with the ‘White Raven Prologue,’ which you simply have to click ‘Start’ to embark on the quest. Pick Bloodhound, then drop into World’s Edge and be on the lookout for a White Raven that will trigger the first event. Chapter 1 Once you drop into the game as Bloodhound, head over to the south side of Lava Siphon where you’ll be able to find and ‘investigate’ the White Raven. You’ll use Bloodhound’s scan to track the injured Prowler. If you can’t find any more tracking icons, then wait for your scan’s cooldown and use it again. Continue that until you reach your objective and you’ll have completed the first chapter of the Old Ways, New Dawn missions. Chapter 2 At the time of writing, Chapter 2 will unlock in two days, where we’ll see what the next mission for Bloodhound’s Apex Chronicle event has in store for us. Dexerto will update this post when the new mission unlocks, with a guide on how to complete it. Bloodhound Old Ways, New Dawn missions tips Getting these missions done might present a challenge since they still take place in a battle royale mode, so there are a few tips you can take with you to make the quests easier to manage. Every mission in Bloodhound’s Apex Chronicles quest line is tailored for BH’s abilities, so make sure to get creative with how you use them. Also, there could be plenty of players trying out the Old Ways, New Dawn missions at the same time, but not to worry. Every player will have a unique path to go on, so there won’t be much overlap. And if you die during a Bloodhound’s Apex Chronicles mission, you’ll have a checkpoint the next time you hop in to resume your journey. Bloodhound Old Ways, New Dawn missions rewards There’s going to be a lot of opportunities to earn Battle Pass Stars as you complete Apex Chronicles quests. For every individual chapter you complete, you’ll be able to snag a few Battle Pass Stars. Once you finish the entire Chronicle event, you’ll be rewarded with three Bloodhound-themed Apex Packs for your troubles. We’ll have to see if Respawn makes an event for every Legend in the game, but so far Apex Legends players are amped to explore the Old Ways, New Dawn quests.

How to complete Bangalore Story event in Apex Legends: The Williams Sendoff – Dexerto
How to complete Bangalore Story event in Apex Legends: The Williams Sendoff Respawn EntertainmentA brand new story event for Bangalore has gone live in Apex Legends. Here’s everything you need to know to complete The Williams Sendoff. Apex Chronicles are in-game, mini story events that provide tidbits of lore for the game’s legends. This time it’s Bangalore’s turn, with ‘The Williams Sendoff’ unlocking on March 29. There are five different chapters to complete in order to get through the Bangalore Chronicles event. Here, we’ll go over how to complete each one. How to complete Bangalore’s Apex Chronicles event Scout of Action Challenge Apex’s Bangalore story event starts off with Chapter 1, called “Scout of Action” with a relatively simple challenge. All you need to do to knock it out is load up the firing range as Bangalore and grab the G7 Scout on the pedestal. This begins the Scout of Action challenge itself, where you’ll need to shoot 35 blue targets within a minute. Not too tough at all, and once you do, you’ll be treated to a brand new cutscene, and unlock the Scout of Action loading screen as well. In this cinematic, Wraith explains how she found Bangalore’s brother Jackie’s dog tags in a morgue to her tearful teammate. It also shows whether or not Jackie’s really dead, and how Bangalore will deal with that fact should come out in the next four parts of the challenge. Jackson’s “Bow-Out” Challenge The second challenge is also a shooting range test of skill, this time with the Bocek Bow. For this you’ll need to enter the firing range as Bangalore and grab the Bow from the pedestal on the far left. This starts the challenge itself, which requires you to deal 1000 damage with the weapon to a single target in a minute. The target moves around back and forth randomly on a track, and it’s movement gets more and more erratic as time ticks closer to zero. While a little tougher than Scout of Action, it’s not extremely tough, and once you knock it out you’ll get another new loading screen, and the Bow-Out cinematic as well. Smoke Show Challenge Third in line is the “Smoke Show” challenge. The toughest so far, this one is started by going to the pedestal with the pistol located in the gap between the two left platforms. You’re required to deal 1250 damage in a minute to dummies hidden in the smoke. They’re outlines will show up on the sight included on the pistol, so simply scan the smoke and blast away when you find one. Upon completion you get yet another loading screen featuring Bangalore and Loba, and a very interesting bit of lore and interaction between the two characters. We’ll leave it at that, but you’ll see what we mean when you complete it. Finale: Say Goodbye Finally, to complete the Bangalore story mission you’ll need to complete the ‘The Williams’ Sendoff’ finale: Say Goodbye. This loads up a section of Storm Point where Bangalore sends off her brother with a beer, just like in her Stories from the Outlands episode. By far, this is the easiest to complete, since you just have to walk up to the cooler and press one button. Once you do you’ll get a Rare Bangalore Pack as a reward, which contains items specific to the legend, and crafting materials. So there you have it, how to knock out Bangalore’s story challenge in Apex Legends. If you haven’t started, don’t worry as it shouldn’t take you more than a few tries on each to get through. Be sure to complete each section by Tuesday, April 12, when ‘The Williams Sendoff’ expires, and the challenges will no longer be available. Since the release of this story event, there’s also been rumors floating around that Bangalore’s brother Jackie might be the next new legend joining Apex. Whether or not that’s the case we can’t say for sure, but it would make a lot of sense based on what we’ve seen so far.

How to complete Apex Legends ‘The Gauntlet’ hunt for Broken Ghost quest – Dexerto
How to complete Apex Legends ‘The Gauntlet’ hunt for Broken Ghost quest Respawn EntertainmentThe new Apex Legends Broken Ghost quest hunt — “The Gauntlet” — is here, and this time players have been tasked with retrieving another mysterious artifact to finish the Season 5 mission and unlock a new chapter, “The Lying Liar.” More than a month has passed since Respawn debuted their new story-telling feature, the Broken Ghost quests, in Apex Legends. We’ve already seen a number of battle royale heroes lock horns, and at least one has been seriously hurt. Last week Octane took centerstage before he needed saving by Lifeline in the story chapter “The Impromptu Kidnapper.” This time around, Apex’s combat medic is the star of the hunt as the storyline continues — here’s how to beat the latest quest. How to complete Broken Ghost “The Gauntlet” hunt Step 1 — Find Octane, escape the Bunker Pass This week’s hunt opens with Gibraltar confirming the team found Octane, as Lifeline sets out to find the next piece of the artifact. Immediately upon dropping, you’ll find Octane defeated at the front of the vault with a loot box. The quest begins with an eight-minute countdown, and a new objective: open all four exits in the Bunker Pass. Of course, the notorious Kings Canyon killing hall is filled with Prowlers that are in your way, so get ready for a fight. Once you’ve activated all four of the panels littered throughout the bunker, Gibraltar will let you know the doors have been opened again. Head to the exit, kill the Prowlers guarding the new area there, and head on. Step 2 — Dig up another hidden artifact As per usual, this mission becomes a defend-the-artifact as the processor digs it up. The difference for this one is it’s just outside the bunker, and there’s a stack of golden weapons up top for you to equip to clear the area easier. Outside of the arsenal of guns at your disposal, this is pretty cut and dry: deploy the drill, hold out for the remaining time, or “hunker in the bunker” as Gibby says in the event comms channel, and dig up the next artifact. From the looks of things, it looks like the Broken Ghost quest’s artifact is finally beginning to take shape. It appears it could be a Titanfall simulacrum — maybe female robot Ash, who was a big part of Respawn’s original FPS series? Step 3 — Escape The usual finale also plays out here once you have the next piece of the rare Broken Ghost artifact. Run to the arriving dropship and clear out any Prowlers that are trying to stop you on the way. Then, get ready for the next storyline chapter. Broken Ghost Chapter 5: “The Lying Liar” Once you complete the ‘The Gauntlet’ hunt mission, you will be given access to a text-only cutscene called “The Lying Liar.” This cutscene is told from Loba’s perspective. It starts as the Translocating Thief plans to leave the Apex Games. Bangalore puts paid to those plans soon after, however. She tells the rest of the Apex cast that Loba is “working on Hammond’s dime”. Loba admits she is after Revenant’s source code, and has to work with Hammond to get it. Crypto explains that a simulacrum’s source code is “the emotions, memories, personality” of the person, transferred from robot to robot. Wraith adds if they are working for Hammond to build the artifact, they should destroy it. The cutscene then ends with Lifeline and Gibraltar returning from the fifth quest gameplay section with an injured Octane. The legend is in bad shape. He’s lost both of his robotic legs in the battle, and he’s unconscious. The next Apex Lgends Broken Quest mission is expected to arrive next week. It should be around the same time as the first five hunt events. Part 6 is expected to be called ‘The Oblivious Mole’. It will be told from Crypto’s perspective. So far, the new weekly player-vs-environment campaign has been well received. Respawn has clearly taken notice of that too — the devs may be adding a Titanfall-themed questline next, including Titans, Pilots, wallrunning, and more.

How to complete Apex Legends Broken Ghost quest ‘Enter the Revenants’ – Dexerto
How to complete Apex Legends Broken Ghost quest ‘Enter the Revenants’ Respawn EntertainmentThe new Apex Legends Broken Ghost quest mission — “Enter the Revenants” — is here, and this time players are tasked with fighting their way through Kings Canyon’s Water Treatment as Revenant makes his debut in the Season 5 challenge. We’re three weeks into the game-changing “Broken Ghost” storyline, and it’s safe to say it’s already changed Apex forever. The battle royale once just followed the last-man-standing formula: now it’s bringing full-blown PvE storytelling. Every quest, or “hunt” as Apex Legends calls them, is fairly simple: drop into Kings Canyon, kill a stack of enemies, get the mission reward (usually an artifact) and get the heck out of there before you die. Week 2 was a huge success. This week, the Portuguese thief’s battle is getting personal. Mission 3 is called ‘Enter the Revenants,’ and begins veering closer and closer to Season 5’s overarching story. Here’s how to beat the latest Broken Ghost quest. How to complete the Broken Ghost “Enter the Revenants” mission Step 1 — Destroy Revenant’s revival totems The first mission step in Enter the Revenants is where this Broken Ghost quest deviates the most from the first two episodes. You begin Revenant’s “challenge of Shadows” already in the simulacrum’s ghost mode. After landing, you have to run around and destroy six of Revenant’s totems, all while battling the Prowlers hunting you across the map. You are given fast climbing, and can smash down doors, but it comes at the price of being gunless. Each of the totems are fairly easy to find — they’re lit up by a quest marker in order — but the real trick is staying clear of the Prowlers as you do it. Make sure you stick to roofs and high ground where you can with your boosted climb. Step 2 — Dig up Revenant’s artifact Once you’ve escaped the Revenant mode Quest 3 dumps you in straight off the bat, you’ll be able to pick up weapons — more than likely just the Mastiff we were handed in our mission run-through — and start blasting Prowlers. This is also where Enter the Revenants deviates back to the norm for the Broken Ghost quests: there’s another artifact to dig up next. Head into Water Treatment, and scoop up any med-kits and loot you see along the way too. Inside the central Water Treatment facility, you’ll find the spot where you have to place this week’s artifact drill. Get ready for a fight too; you’ll have about two minutes of wave defense against the Prowlers after this. Step 3 — Escape! Collect the artifact that appears at the end of the wave defense, and you’ve entered the last stage of the mission. Here, we have the usual finale: “Escape!” You’ll be given around two minutes to escape the now-overrun Water Treatment, and get to the dropship waiting for you out the back of the point of interest. Head out the back door and swing right — you should see the ship in the distance. Make it to the waiting escape vehicle, and you’ve finished Quest 3. Broken Ghost Chapter 3: “The Liberated Narc” Once you complete the ‘Enter the Revenants’ mission, you will be given access to a text-only cutscene called “The Liberated Narc”. This story cutscene is told from Octane’s perspective and begins during his date with Yoko. During the cutscene, Revenant plants the seeds of doubt within the Legends. He suggested there’s a mole in their ranks. Bangalore, Gibraltar, and Bloodhound arrive soon after, ready to fight, and Revenant beats a hasty retreat. Banglore then ignores Revenant’s mole warning, but orders Octane to return to Hammond legal officer Yoko to see if he can get more information. Everyone leaves, Octane ignores the order, and heads out to find Loba’s artifacts instead. The next Broken Quest mission is expected to arrive next week. Part four should be called ‘The Impromptu Kidnapper,’ according to the Apex Legends Season 5 game code files. It will likely be told from Lifeline’s perspective. So far, the new weekly player-vs-environment campaign has been well received. Respawn has clearly taken notice of that too — the devs may be adding a Titanfall-themed questline next, including Titans, Pilots, wall-running, and more.

Apex Legends: How to combine Wraith and Wattson for overpowered combo – Dexerto
Apex Legends: How to combine Wraith and Wattson for overpowered combo The release of Wattson with Apex Legends Season 2 has already inspired players to come up with incredibly creative ways of eliminating their opponents, and when combined with Wraith, Wattson could be the deadliest Legend yet. Wattson has a very unique set of skills, all relating to her control of electronics, with her traps and interception pylons proving useful ‘situational’ abilities, somewhat similar to Caustic’s gas traps. Due to the stationary nature of her abilities though, players using Wattson are somtimes forced into a slower, more static, playstyle, which can be a disadvantage against some of the other, more mobile, legends. Despite her slower play style, Wattson can actually excel when paired with Wraith, as long as you and a teammate work together in a duo. Wattson’s tactical ability, Perimeter Security, allows her to create electric fences and nodes, which can completely set up a room as one big trap, but, with how obvious the traps are, luring enemies in is a bit tricker. Reddit user Kevthekings99_YT and his squad found a method though, using Wraith. By using her portal to bait enemy players into chasing after a kill, Wraith can force opponents to land directly in the trap’s zone, allowing Wattson to mow them down and claim a potentially easy squad wipe. Even though the trap works brilliantly like this, some also suggested adding a Caustic player into the mix, to make for an even deadlier trap for unsuspecting players. This is not the first idea that players have come up with which makes use of Wattson’s abilities to set up electric traps to eliminate opponents, as player’s have also been taking advantage of doors to incorporate the new legend’s play style. The Wraith and Wattson combo makes for a great opportunity to pick up kills if you can find a room to set-up early, although the strategy will be much less viable in some of the more open areas of King’s Canyon. Unsurprisingly, this tactic was shown to be most effective in bunker, where Caustic usually reigns supreme with his deadly gas traps in tight spaces. But, with Wattson’s arrival, Caustic may be facing some competition for dominance in tight spots like bunker, with her traps able to surprise players trying to take the shortcut through bunkers. Even if you’re not playing with Wraith, placing Wattson’s traps directly next to a large closed door will often also take players by surprise, giving you and your squad a big advantage.

How to claim free Apex Legends Season 4 PlayStation Plus Pack – Dexerto
How to claim free Apex Legends Season 4 PlayStation Plus Pack EA / SonyTo celebrate the launch of Apex Legends Season 4, Respawn and EA have teamed up once again with PlayStation to offer an exclusive pack for PS Plus subscribers, including new skins for Wattson and Octane. Since players aren’t required to have a PS Plus account to enjoy free-to-play games on the PS4, such as Apex Legends, Sony threw those who do have a subscription a bone by giving them free gear. We’ve seen this before with both Fortnite and Apex, so it’s not all that surprising to see and has even started to become expected. However, Respawn will usually give little publicity to these kinds of deals, so many might not be aware it even exits. Luckily for players, it’s an extremely simple process to claim the pack. While there’s no definitive expiration date given, they surely won’t last forever, so make sure you claim them all at your earliest convenience. How to get your Apex Legends Season 4 PS Plus pack All you’ll have to do to get your hands on this free bundle is head over to the PlayStation Store and claim it. It’s completely free of charge, so once that’s done, load up Apex Legends and the contents of the pack will be in your account. As for what’s actually included with this bundle, players can expect a couple of outfits, banners, and weapon skins, for a total of six items. Here’s a look at what you’ll be getting: 2 character skins (Octane & Wattson) – 2 weapon skins (Havoc & P2020) – 2 banners (Octane & Wattson) – Unfortunately, there’s nothing available for Revenant, the new character introduced this season, so players will have to settle for skins for some of the older characters. With Revenant arguably being the nicest looking design we’ve seen from an Apex Legends character so far, it’s a little disappointing but definitely makes sense from Respawn’s standpoint. Apex Legends Season 4 is now live for free PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For more information about the update, make sure to check out our Season 4 patch notes, which includes details about the major map changes, new weapons, and, of course, Revenant.

How to claim free Apex Legends PlayStation Plus Pack – exclusive skins and more – Dexerto
How to claim free Apex Legends PlayStation Plus Pack – exclusive skins and more PlayStation/RespawnRespawn and PlayStation have teamed up again to give PlayStation Plus owners a free Apex Legends cosmetic pack. Respawn and PlayStation have come together again to release a brand new PlayStation Plus Play Pack for the newly released Apex Legends battle royale game. Similar to the pack released shortly after Apex Legends came out, the newest one features two free hero skins (this time for Mirage and Lifeline), two weapon skins and two banners. The new cosmetic pack is currently available on the PlayStation 4 store for free, for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Like other free to play games on the PS4 console, such as Fortnite, a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to actually play Apex Legends, but it is needed to download and use the free Play Pack. The PlayStation Plus Play Pack includes exclusive PlayStation themed cosmetics, for a total of 6 items for players to use in-game: 2 exclusive PlayStation-themed character skins for Lifeline and Mirage. – 2 exclusive PlayStation-themed weapon skins for the Eva-8 and R-99. – 2 exclusive PlayStation-themed banners for Lifeline and Mirage. – A lack of more legend skins and weapon cosmetics are some of player’s biggest complains about Apex, so at least PlayStation players will have a few more options at least. The pack is similar to the previous PlayStation Plus Pack given to players shortly after the release of Apex Legends in February 2019. There is one big difference though, instead of a blue color scheme like the previous Play Pack, this one gives Lifeline and Mirage purple skins. The weapons and banners are also purple instead. There’s no expiration date for the free packs, but players should redeem them sooner than later because eventually it will be gone.

How to change reticle colors in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to change reticle colors in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentThere are various ways for players to take creative control of their gameplay in Apex Legends, and one of those is having the ability to change your reticle color. Whether you’re after a blazing Hot Pink or more of a subdued Cerulean, here’s everything you need to know in order to change your crosshair colors in the game. Cultivating your personal playstyle in Apex Legends is important and developers Respawn have provided a lot of ways for players to do this. Whether it’s in choosing the Legend that’s right for you or refining your favorite list of weapons to decimate the arena, much of the gameplay is focused on being comfortable in your choices. It can be difficult to find a level of comfort in combat if you’re having a hard time keeping track of where your reticle is. Thankfully, Respawn has included in-game options to fix this issue for players. How to change your reticle color in Apex Legends In order to get started, load into the game and head to the Firing Range. Once you’re inside you’ll need to follow a few simple steps: Open up the Settings menu and scroll down the Gameplay tab until you find the Reticle section. – Click the Customize option to open up the Reticle Color selection screen. – Either choose one of the four pre-made color options or use the color sliders to fine-tune your choice – Spend some time shooting around at the bots and moving targets to make sure your choice is viable in-game. – If you can’t nail down the exact color you’re looking for, then you can use the Current boxes on the right-hand side of the screen to input a custom Hex Code to ensure your settings are perfect. That’s all of the available options for Console players, but PC users can take things a step further using the game’s launch options. When opening the game on Steam, right-click the thumbnail and open up the Properties menu and hunt down the Launch Options line. Insert the code +reticle_color “0 0 0” and replace the zeroes with the Hex Code numbers of your choosing. Doing this will allow you to bypass the constraints on the in-game menu’s options, which are specifically limited to values under 255. How to change DNS settings to fix Apex Legends connection issues – Dexerto
How to change DNS settings to fix Apex Legends connection issues Respawn EntertainmentNothing is more frustrating than suffering from connection issues while playing Apex Legends, but if Season 6 has been particularly rough, there’s some simple changes you can make to your system’s DNS settings that can help. We’ve all been there. You’re running into an intense gunfight, weapon ready to beam your enemies when you get a massive lag spike, and before you know it, you’re down on the ground and heading back to the lobby. When this happens every now and then it’s frustrating, but when it’s a constant issue, it can be enough to drive anybody mad. With some players reporting connection issues since the start of Season 6, some players have been desperate to find a solution. One of the easiest ways to attempt to fix these problems is to play with your DNS settings, with EA forum user Zeelmaekers actually providing information on how to do this, and the best settings to use if you want to try it. The good news is that this is possible on every platform, so PC, Xbox, and PS4 players can all give it a go and use the developer’s preferred DNS settings. How to bypass knockdown shields in Apex Legends with simple trick – Dexerto
How to bypass knockdown shields in Apex Legends with simple trick An Apex Legends player has discovered a way of quickly eliminating downed opponents without destroying their knockdown shield. When players are knocked down in Apex Legends, they can raise a knockdown shield – assuming they have one – that offers a certain amount of protection from being immediately eliminated, depending on the rarity of the shield. In order for a player to remove a downed enemy from the game completely, they must either break the shield – which can take a notable amount of time and ammo, particularly for the higher quality shields – or complete a finisher, which itself takes some time and leaves the player vulnerable during the animation. Apex player Cpt_Pugsy has discovered a method, however, of bypassing the shield, offering a quick means of eliminating the opponent. If a player starts a finisher but then immediately cancels it, there is a brief window before the enemy’s knockdown shield will come back up. If you’re quick enough, it’s possible to get a shot off in this window without having to break through the shield, making the elimination much faster. It may take some practice to get the movement down, as the window is only brief, and may also rely on having a weapon that can eliminate the enemy quickly – Cpt_Pugsy demonstrates with the Peacekeeper, which requires only a single shot, although it’s not necessarily the only viable weapon. This technique is likely to be most useful at times when speed is paramount – in the heat of a battle, you may well benefit from eliminating an opponent if only as a source of replacement body armor, but burning through a full knockdown shield or completing a finisher can leave you vulnerable for several seconds. It’s not currently clear whether this is something that Respawn would consider an unintended exploit, but it’s possible they may address it at some point in the future. In the meantime, however, it’s a useful trick that’s worth having up your sleeve for when you need to guarantee an elimination as quickly as possible.

How to bunny hop in Apex Legends and heal while moving faster – Dexerto
How to bunny hop in Apex Legends and heal while moving faster Respawn EntertainmentIf you want to be harder to hit and heal while moving faster in Apex Legends, then bunny hopping is the ideal solution – but it can take a bit of practice. Since the hugely popular game’s release on February 4, players have been jumping in and out of Kings Canyon searching for hints and tricks that may give them a slight advantage over their fellow legends. Some have discovered how to reload that slightly bit faster during a gunfight, while others have found tricks that pertain to one particular Legend. However, bunny hopping isn’t locked to one character and can be done by all players – providing they know how to. So, to bunny hop across King’s Canyon, players need to initiate into a slide, before jumping and then each time you hit the ground after that, immediately jumping again. How to bunny hop in Apex Legends Sprint – Slide when you have gained enough momentum – While remaining crouched, jump – While holding the D key, move your mouse to the right – As soon as you land, jump again – While holding the A key, move your mouse to the left. – Note: You must use hold to crouch option, not toggle to crouch, for bunny hopping to work. A good tip is to keybind the jump button to something other than space – for example mouse scroll wheel down/up. This way, you won’t have to time your spacebar presses so much, which can be tricky. While doing all of that, continue to hold whatever key or button you use to crouch – while also moving in the direction you want to go. While that may seem terribly complicated, it’s not, and there are a few indicators for how to get the perfect timing down. Take the mechanic for a whirl in training mode while holding a gun – as this will make things much easier. While in the air, the on-screen crosshair will spread out but when you hit the ground, the crosshair will close in on itself. To get the timing down properly, you should barely be able to see the crosshair close in before you want to jump again and continue hopping. To make it even more difficult, you can heal at the same time – provided you have enough free fingers to hit the buttons you need. While bunny hopping isn’t going to affect your Legends current hitbox all that much, it will absolutely make you harder to hit during games as enemies will struggle to line-up accurate shots at you. Failing that, you can always still run across the map before getting wiped out by a round of R-301 shots.

How to become an Apex Legends pro with the first pro Discord – Dexerto
How to become an Apex Legends pro with the first pro Discord If you think you have the talent to play Apex Legends at the top level, then this Discord server geared toward the competitive community could be a good place to get started. Even though Apex Legends is only a few weeks old at this point, members of the competitive community have gotten together to create a new Discord server that’s open to all aspiring players and teams. Taking inspiration from the successful and highly popular Fortnite pro Discord, Wawa & CAlan created the Discord with the competitive community in mind. They also brought Ghost Gaming Fortnite player Enzo ‘Enzo’ Simonette into the fold to assist in setting things up, with EA also keeping a close eye to obtain community feedback and communicate with members of the competitive scene. The Discord is currently getting full in hurry, too, having already attracted over 12,000 members, despite having only created the Discord on February 11. Players from organizations like FaZe Clan, NRG Esports, Team Liquid and Cloud9 are already part of the server, and there are scouts from 100 Thieves and Team SoloMid on the lookout for players. The day-to-day purpose of the Apex Pro Discord is to allow teams to setup ‘scrims’, or practice matches, and there are ‘Ranked gameplay leaderboards’ posted daily, giving an incentive for players to grind their way up the list. If you are an aspiring pro player, or just want to play Apex Legends in a more competitive setting, then the Discord will certainly be a good place to start. You can join the Discord server via direct invitation here, and more details can be found on the official website. Apex Legends is still less than a month old, but the potential for a fully fledged professional and amateur scene is already being realized. With EA looking for feedback and communication, this could be the start of next big battle royale esport.

10 tips on how to be a good teammate in Apex Legends – Dexerto
10 tips on how to be a good teammate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is as team-based a battle royale as they get, so it’s worth reinforcing exactly how players can be the best teammate possible and make lives a little easier. From choosing a character to capitalizing on abilities in combat, practically everything in Apex Legends is dictated by team synergy. Whether you’re dropping in with randoms or playing with friends, players should remember the basic tenets of teamwork. We’ve therefore put together 10 commandments for being a good team player and helping your squad be as cohesive as possible. 1. Be flexible about Legend selection The starting point for every match finds three squad members choosing between the game’s 16 Legends in a randomized order. Don’t be a stickler, understand that people can have the same main as you and have a few characters you’re comfortable playing if your favorite gets taken. There’s no need to cause conflict before a match starts with your teammates, it’ll always reduce your chances of coming away with the victory. 2. Communicate (preferably on voice chat) The most crucial commandment of them all: whether through pings or voice chat, talk to your team. This will allow you to adapt to their playstyles and best succeed in your engagements by determining ideal rotations. Apex has an extremely good ping system – so make the most of it! I’ve seen a lot of crazy teamwork plays in Apex before, but I’m not sure many top this .. pic.twitter.com/OqO4GzOOUY — FaZe Snip3down (@Snip3down) March 18, 2020 The best is to both call out enemy locations on the microphone and with pings, but either is better than neither. Read more: How to master Rampart in Apex Legends – P.S. If you’re on mic, don’t play loud music in the background, and remember to mute yourself when a mom or roommate starts yelling at you. 3. Drop as a team Everyone can make suggestions for drop location, but, ultimately, majority or jumpmaster rules—so be ready to follow their lead and don’t land miles away just because you like a different spot. Conversely, while you should drop with your team, you shouldn’t drop on top of each other to the point that you’re splitting Supply Crates (unless absolutely necessary). 4. Don’t quit on your squad Don’t quit just because you didn’t get your favorite Legend, and absolutely do not quit if you’ve been killed but your respawn banner is still retrievable. Never count out your squad, there’s always the chance they pop-off and carry you to a victory. 5. Don’t spam pings Pinging is very useful, but spamming is not. Whether it’s a drop spot, needed ammo, or a Respawn Beacon, don’t be the nuisance that makes life a cluttered nightmare for your teammates (especially if they’re in combat). And if you act too needy, just be aware that your teammates may be driven to act like Reddit’s ‘bailey_kerr’ in this clip. 6. Sharing is caring Your team is as strong as its weakest link, so be sure to ping loot for teammates (especially early on) and drop needed ammo, shields, and meds when you can spare some. It’s never a good idea to leave one of your teammates to use their fists in a gunfight, it’s not very likely they’ll come out on top. 7. Don’t go Rambo Just like you shouldn’t drop solo just because you like another location, don’t try and be the hero who spontaneously runs off from their team to push an engagement or separate area by yourself. Instead, ping or communicate your intentions so your unit can move as one. Read more: How to use the Charge Rifle in Apex Legends – The exception to this rule: if your teammates can’t be revived and want to run it back, you can throw caution to the wind, forget placement and go Rambo in their honor. 8. Practice safe revives Reviving a downed teammate is an obvious priority, but you should do so smartly by clearing the area of threats, healing or shielding up, and then reviving them. To be clear, do not waste time looking for a better stock while your squadmate is still downed. Below, Feest Mode demonstrates a great way of buying yourself some time using nades before reviving a teammate. I love nades, such a helpful way to weaken a team before sending a full push #UnleashTheFeest #ApexLegends #XboxOne pic.twitter.com/Qbv3GHmJUe — CJ Feest (@CJFeest) May 27, 2020 P.S. Even when downed, you can contribute by pinging enemies your team may not be able to see, or by providing some knockdown shield cover. 9. Treat your fallen comrades with respect If your teammate has fully died and you’ve successfully brought their banner to a Respawn Beacon, one of two situations will arise: 1) They’ll respawn near enough to their death box to get their loot back, or 2) their box is too far and they’re dropping in with no gear. In the former, be normal and don’t loot their goodies before they get back (unless you’re in critical need). In the latter, ping nearby loot for them or, worst comes to worst, drop whatever weapon, ammo, shields, and meds you can afford to hold them over. 10. Respect dibs Just be courteous and don’t steal items a teammate has already dibbed. The game makes dibs obvious through the in-game ping system, so this should be pretty easy to follow. If you follow these simple rules, you will soon discover that basic human decency makes for a better playing experience with more rewarding interactions.

How to avoid fall stuns in Apex Legends with clever trick – Dexerto
How to avoid fall stuns in Apex Legends with clever trick Respawn EntertainmentOne extremely simple tip can help you avoid Apex Legends’ fall stun and get the drop (literally) on any enemy team, no matter where they are. The stun that’s applied in Apex Legends when your character falls from a significant height doesn’t do any damage, but it does cause you to stop for a second and resets your momentum. While not always the case, it can make you an easier target, and in the heat of battle, it could be the difference between pulling one out for your team or getting mowed down by the enemy. How to avoid Apex’s fall stuns Back in the early days when Respawn’s battle royale first came out in 2019, it used to be possible to cancel the stun by simply meleeing the ground right before you hit. Your character would kick and their momentum would be preserved — easy as pie — until Respawn patched it out. While it’s no longer possible to conserve your momentum by just hitting the ground, it is possible to cancel the stun by using the melee attack in a different way. Instead of just striking out at the ground, hitting a wall or any other vertical surface on your way down seems to break your fall and preserve your movement just as well as the previous trick did. It’s not even necessarily any tougher to pull off either, as you can see in the clip below from Reddit user Toyo0821; all you need to do is make melee contact with a perpendicular surface on your way down, and you should be good. Even though the original Season One mechanic was patched out by Respawn, many players from that time still instinctively melee before they hit the ground anyway. In this case, it would be pretty simple to keep doing that but just aim for walls and other, similar things on the way down instead. The advantages of doing this during a firefight are obvious, but it can also help keep you on your toes in between fights. So while it’s still around, there’s no reason to not be training yourself to do it without thinking if you want to improve your skills.

How to activate low gravity glitch in Apex Legends firing range – Dexerto
How to activate low gravity glitch in Apex Legends firing range Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends low gravity glitch has returned to the firing range, enabling players to float around once again. Although the glitch is limited to the game’s firing range, it’s perfect if you need a break from the intensity of BR matches or Arenas. If you’re an Apex Legends player, it’s likely you enjoy the competitive aspects of the battle royale mode and love coming out on top. Unfortunately, some days it can feel like you’re losing every single gunfight and just can’t seem to pick up any kills. Well, the low gravity glitch has seemingly returned to the game’s firing range and it’s the perfect side-activity for when you’re not having much success in the main modes. Although the majority of glitches in Apex Legends negatively impact the gameplay experience, there are a few that make the title even more entertaining, and this is certainly one of them. Low gravity mode in Apex Legends Activating low gravity in the firing range is incredibly simple and involves the Winged Avenger, Valkyrie. Just follow these few simple steps and you’ll be bouncing around the range in no time: Enter the firing range and switch to Valkyrie. – Fly up into the air using her jetpacks. – Cancel her jetpack while in mid-air. – Quickly switch to another Legend (Pathfinder & Horizon are recommended). – Enjoy the low gravity mode! – It’s worth noting that you can use any of the game’s Legends while the low gravity glitch is active, but Pathfinder and Horizon are recommended as they have abilities that can make the experience more fluid and exciting. Keep in mind, you can cancel low gravity at any time by switching back to Valkyrie. Apex Legends YouTuber, Skeptation, even took the time to show how players can replicate the glitch and what kind of fun you can have using it. Whether Respawn will opt to fix this harmless glitch remains to be seen, but we recommend giving it a go while it’s still enabled. Remember, if you’re ever tilted from ranked games or if you’re simply not landing any shots in Arenas, make sure you hop into the practice range and activate the low gravity glitch for some instant fun.

Thanks to Biast12 and GarretLeaks for the information for the teaser. Step-by-Step: Arena teaser in Apex Legends Collect keycard from care packages – Press the phone in the lobby and listen to the message – Find holo-sprays on Kings Canyon & Olympus – Press the button on the Firing Range platform and wait for the ship – Don’t worry if you don’t manage to complete the teaser yourself, as you can always see the end result from other players anyway. When Season 9 drops on May 4, we expect that everyone will be able to try out the Arena mode for themselves.

How to access new Season 15 map teaser in Apex Legends: A New Home – Dexerto
How to access new Season 15 map teaser in Apex Legends: A New Home Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 15’s golden ticket teaser has been expanded and players who’ve collected it can get a sneak peek at a brand new map. Here’s how you can access the new map. Apex Legends Season 15 is nearly here and fans already know a bit about the upcoming season including the brand-new Legend, Catalyst. Before developer Respawn officially revealed Catalyst, the team teased even more Season 15 info through the in-game Golden Ticket teaser event, called “A New Home” which was set to unlock on October 19, 2022. Now, those who’ve crafted a Golden Ticket can fully access the “A New Home” event, which lets players explore a small section of Season 15’s new map. Here’s how you can access the teaser event. How to access the “A New Home” teaser Accessing the new map is simple and can be done from the Apex Legends lobby menu. You simply need to click on the “Play Apex” icon which allows them to change which game mode they will queue into. At the top right corner, those who’ve crafted a Golden Ticket in any Battle Royale match should see a small icon labeled “A New Home,” which was previously locked behind a countdown timer. Now, the teaser should be fully unlocked. Queuing into the teaser event will allow you to explore a small section of the upcoming Season 15 map, which is actually set on Boreas’ destroyed moon, Cleo. Where to find a Golden Ticket in Apex Legends Obtaining a Golden Ticket is easy and can be done in any Battle Royale match. Players must locate a replicator on the field and craft their own Golden Ticket for 125 crafting medals. Once you’ve gathered 125 crafting medals, simply locate a crafter and make a Golden Ticket at the top of the crafting wheel. On top of the Golden Ticket, you will also be rewarded with a Legendary gold weapon complete with all its attachments. And that’s everything you need to know about accessing the “A New Home” teaser event in Apex Legends. With Season 15 dropping on November 1, 2022, it won’t be long until fans can fully explore this brand-new map shown off in this teaser event.

How to access Apex Legends vaults without a key by using Rampart exploit – Dexerto
How to access Apex Legends vaults without a key by using Rampart exploit Respawn EntertainmentAn exploit involving Rampart is allowing players to gain access to Vaults on World’s Edge without a key in Apex Legends. While gunskill will always be the most important factor in an Apex Legends match, loot plays a huge part in which squad comes out on top. So, in order to get an advantage over their opponents, a lot of players will drop down into locations where they feel the best items are available. However, no matter where you drop in any of the maps, it’s rare you’ll ever match the contents of a World’s Edge Vault. These locked rooms are often filled with some of the best attachments and items in the game, but you’ll need to find a key first. Well, that was until players realized they can use an exploit involving Rampart’s Ultimate to glitch inside, take all of the loot, and escape without a trace. Apex Legends TikTok shows how to access Vaults with no key All the back in May of 2021, Apex players realized they could access World’s Edge Vaults using Wraith’s Tactical, an exploit that was later patched. Now, a new way of accessing the rooms has been found and it involves Rampart. As showcased by TikTok creator rossbobsquirrel, all players need to do is have their back against the Vault doors while placing down Sheila. After that, it’s just a case of placing two Amped Covers in front of the minigun and one on the side. Then, simply hop onto the minigun and jump off backwards until you phase through the doors, giving you access to all of the loot inside the Vault. Ross even mentions that you can use Revenant’s Death Totem Ultimate to escape the room after picking up the loot. Similar to the Wraith exploit, this bug will definitely be fixed in a future update or maybe even a hotfix if Respawn believes it’s necessary. Having access to Vault loot every single game can give certain players a big advantage in their matches, especially if they can get their hands on Gold EVO armor or a helmet. Not only that, no one wants to be the squad that turns up to a Vault with a key and realizes that all of the loot has already been taken.

How to skydive longer in Shadowfall LTM with odd Apex Legends glitch – Dexerto
How to skydive longer in Shadowfall LTM with odd Apex Legends glitch A glitch has been discovered which allows players to skydive further in Apex Legends on Kings Canyon (only available in the Shadowfall LTM currently) with the help of the Leviathans. Apex Legends players saw the addition of a brand new map, World’s Edge, added to the game during the release of Season 3: Meltdown. However, fans of Kings Canyon were not forgotten as Respawn also added an option that allows players to return to old Arena in the limited-time Shadowfall mode. Although Kings Canyon was brought back in the Shadowfall mode, Respawn had made some adjustments to the map, changing it to night mode as well as moving the iconic leviathans slightly to the middle of the arena. One Apex Legends player, DragonBane-GT, managed to uncover a glitch which allowed them to skydive further with the help of the Leviathans, and shared it on the battle royale game’s subreddit. After DragonBane spawned into a game of Shadowfall, they appeared to try landing on the Leviathans head before being bounced up even higher, allowing them to skydive for longer than usual. It is likely that the reason they were bounced up higher is due to the fact that the Leviathan could be seen lifting his head right as they made contact with the creature. Players of the popular battle royale game will probably have to perfectly time their skydive in order to replicate this bizarre glitch. The limited-time mode has seen a few bugs during its short time on the Apex Legends servers including a glitch that made the game unwinnable for an unlucky player. It remains to be seen if Respawn are aware of the Leviathan glitch, however, it is unlikely that it will be patched as the Shadowfall LTM leaves the game’s servers on November 5.

How Reddit inspired Apex Legends to finally rework Pathfinder – Dexerto
How Reddit inspired Apex Legends to finally rework Pathfinder Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has finally shipped a new Pathfinder rework in the Aftermarket collection event update, after a fan-made Apex Legends balance change shared on Reddit inspired the battle royale devs to take a second look at the loveable robot scout’s core ability.[jwplayer KEHOOBWR] Pathfinder will now have a variable grapple cooldown moving forward, “based on distance traveled”. This means the Forward Scout can now enjoy cooldowns as low as 10 seconds per use. The maximum 35-second cooldown remains for long-ranged hooks. This decision was a “compromise” from simply reverting the change, Respawn explained in their Aftermarket patch notes. Interestingly enough, they added, the idea was actually first posted on Reddit, well before the planned Oct. 6 update. “Instead of dropping grapple cooldown back to 15 seconds where it was before, or move it to 25 seconds as a compromise, we considered a player suggestion — thanks Reddit! — to have the grapple drain energy as it goes,” the devs explained. Funnily enough, the original Reddit post, shared by /u/Luckyshoe50 on Sep. 22, only got two upvotes and nine comments. Respawn’s developers also didn’t reply to the /r/ApexLegends thread at the time, though they clearly took notice. Pathfinder’s new grapple rework now works similarly to the Titanfall 2 hookshot ability, which would be set to a cooldown depending on use. “The difference is,” the devs continued, “we’re looking at your full distance traveled [for the timer].” The new Pathfinder rework should help both skilled players, and those Pathfinder mains who “faceplant the grapple” a few times more than they’d like every Apex Legends match. “Bad Pathfinder players no longer need to fear the faceplant… if you’re not going anywhere, you’re not incurring much of a cooldown,” the devs explained. “If you’re a really, really good Pathfinder, and looking for the absolute max distance grapple, you’ll still have a 35-second cooldown… assuming you land it. “This both buffs Path a little less for the scariest robot players out there, and also opens up room for extra skill expression; can you find useful short grapples that give you a shorter CD but still do something good [in the middle of a fight]?” Pathfinder copped his first huge grappling hook nerf in the Season 5 update on May 12. The Forward Scout’s core ability was slapped with a monster 20 second nerf, up to 35, to balance his ever-growing power in Apex Legends ranked play. The Apex Legends release hero had a small buff added in the Aug. 17 patch three months later; he could drop the cooldown on his Zipline Gun by using survey beacons. This change did little to bring Pathfinder back into the top-tier meta, however. Before the Pathfinder changes in 2020, the robot scout boasted a 10.3% pick rate. This didn’t change much in Season 6; he is played in 11% of Apex Legends games. The new Pathfinder rework isn’t the only Legend change coming in the Aftermarket event update either; Wraith is in line for a sprint rework, and Bloodhound has had their cooldown numbers tweaked slightly. Rampart got a turret buff too. Read the full Apex Legends Aftermarket collection update patch notes here.

How Private Matches work in Apex Legends: Create custom tournament & invite friends – Dexerto
How Private Matches work in Apex Legends: Create custom tournament & invite friends Respawn Entertainment finally added private matches into Apex Legends as part of the Spellbound Collection Event. Here’s everything you need to know about the game mode. Apex Legends Spellbound Collection Event comes chock-full of new content. The update makes quality-of-life changes, introduces new cosmetic items, balances weapons, and addresses bugs. At the top of many players’ wish lists has been a way to host games or tournaments with friends, and their wish finally came true. Besides everything else added in the Spellbound Collection Event, the update allows players to host private matches. Let’s jump right into the few simple steps required to host a private match in Apex Legends. How to create a private match in Apex Legends Here are the steps required to host a private match. Click on the game mode selection button – Under the Private Match tab, select create match – Create a tournament code – Wait for players to join using the custom code – Players can ready up in the lobby, which will show a green dot next to their name – Once every player is ready, the host can start the match – Players can create private tournament matches with up to 60 players and five observers. The observers can see outlines of teams and players, have access to a free cam, and see scoreboards and overlays. Anyone with the code can join a private match. In the patch notes, the developers noted that no progression or XP could be earned through tournament matches, and cross-play is required to participate. private match customization options On January 10, the developers released an FAQ, answering every burning regarding private matches. Most notably, 30 players at minimum are required to start a battle royale match. This will be disappointing news for community members hoping to gather a few friends and host mini-battle royales. No LTM mode is available at launch, but the developers said they would provide an update if that changed in the future. On a more positive note, players can choose from all maps when setting up a game, and admins can edit settings and chat options and remove players from a lobby. Admins can initiate an aim assist override, which forces PC values for aim assist across the board, which will be an underrated feature. Players can host private matches on any platform, but the developers noted chat abilities are currently bugged on console. Respawn is working on a fix, and we will provide an update when we know more.

How quests work in Apex Legends Season 5: Weekly Hunts & Treasure Packs – Dexerto
How quests work in Apex Legends Season 5: Weekly Hunts & Treasure Packs Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor will introduce brand new a Season Quest called The Broken Ghost that will give players the chance to unlock some incredible rewards. This will be the first time Apex will feature what Respawn is calling a “Season Quest” that, as the name implies, is a season-long challenge for players to collect nine pieces of a mysterious artifact. There are a few things players will have to do for Broken Ghost before they can participate in the weekly PvE Hunts that will reveal more to the story, and eventually unlock “a secret that the Outlands might not be ready for.” Broken Ghost Season Quest Season 5 of Apex introduces the first Quest to the game. Players will have to search all season long to find all nine pieces of a “mysterious artifact.” Here’s how you can jump right in and start unraveling the mystery behind the Broken Ghost: Gather Treasure Packs every day in competitive matches of Apex Legends and unlock Rewards and new Hunts for the missing pieces. These are limited to one a day, but can be found in Duos, Trios, Limited-Time Modes, and Ranked. – Next, you’ll head out on weekly Hunts into Kings Canyon’s night mode to find pieces of the artifact either solo or with your squad and try to make it back in one piece. Players can join in on as many Hunts as they want, but you’ll only get new Rewards if you’ve unlocked the mission for the week yourself. – As you make your way through each hunt, you’ll earn more Rewards and unlock different chapters that reveal the Story of “The Broken Ghost”. We’ll also find out why everyone is trying to kill one another just to get their hands on the mysterious “artifact.” – Recovering all nine pieces will unlock even more rewards, let you go into Apex’s past, and uncover a secret that could turn the game on its head. – Treasure Packs The first thing players need to do to participate in “The Broken Ghost” Season Quest is to collect five Treasure Packs, which can be found in supply crates scattered through the map in Apex’s Competitive modes. Once you have five packs, you can participate and earn rewards by going on the weekly Hunts into Kings Canyon at Night to retrieve pieces of the artifact. Here, you and your squad will face off PvE-style against the vicious Prowler aliens (which you might recognize from Bloodhound’s Trials), as you attempt to recover the relic. It’s also important to note that you can join a hunt any time, say to help a friend out, but you will only gain the rewards if you’ve unlocked the new weekly mission in a Treasure Pack yourself. What’s inside the Treasure packs There are 45 different Treasure packs players can unlock during Season 5, and each contains Crafting Metals, BattlePass XP, Apex Packs, or the ability to play a new weekly Hunt for the next piece of the artifact (as we mentioned above). As you succeed in each hunt to earn more rewards, you’ll also unlock story chapters that explain more about “The Broken Ghost,” like what the “artifact” is, and why does everybody in the Apex Legends universe want to get their hands on it like Indiana Jones? There are nine relics in total to collect, and once you have them all, you can “dive into the past,” according to Respawn, which could be hinting at an entirely different mode or mission coming later on in the season. Weekly Hunts Hunts will be “quick and dangerous” missions into King’s Canyon at night. Players will exit the dropship, make their way to the artifact, then beat a hasty retreat as they attempt to survive wave after wave of deadly Prowlers. You can participate in the hunts as a solo player or in a squad. To make things easier for all you lone wolves out there, solo players will have a few automatic respawns if you get taken out. After completing all of the Hunts in Season 5, you can earn your next piece of the artifact, an exclusive weapon charm, and a new chapter in the ongoing story of “The Broken Ghost”. Hunts won’t be available right when Season 5 kicks off on May 12 though, since you need to collect Treasure Packs to be eligible for rewards, and those are limited to just one a day. The first day for the new PvE mode will be May 19, and we can’t wait to try it out.

How much is the Season 1 Apex Legends Battle Pass really worth? – Dexerto
How much is the Season 1 Apex Legends Battle Pass really worth? Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has calculated exactly how much the Season One Battle Pass is worth in Apex Coins. Fans of Apex Legends have been waiting for the game’s first season to kick off almost since its original release on February 4. At last, the wait is almost over, with the inaugural season launching at 10 AM PST (1 PM EST, 5 PM GMT) on March 19. One of the most anticipated elements of the season is the Battle Pass, which will give players the chance to work towards a variety of rewards. Unfortunately, the reveal of the Battle Pass has been met with some rather disappointed reactions, with many fans criticizing the underwhelming rewards. To help you decide whether or not the Battle Pass is really worth it, one fan, u/DarthSartoris, did the math to figure out exactly how much you can earn with the Battle Pass in Apex Coin value compared to how much it costs to purchase. The Season One Battle Pass costs 950 Apex Legends coins to purchase. In order to unlock all of the rewards, players must then work towards level 100 within the three-month season. Assuming you reach level 100, you’ll unlock the following items. 1000 x Apex Coins – 20 x rare weapon skins – 1 x epic weapon skin – 3 x rare character skins – 9 x stat trackers – 9 x intro quips – 9 x rare banner frames – 5 x Apex Packs – 1 x Epic Apex Pack – 1 x Legendary Apex Pack – 1 x Legendary weapon skin – While the 1000 Apex Coins are self-explanatory, the value of the rest of the rewards take some calculating. Apex Packs can be purchased at a value of 100 Apex Coins each, and so in total add 700 coins worth of value. In addition, Legendary weapon skins can be bought directly from the store at a price of 1800 Apex Coins each. The rest of the items are a little more complicated to value, however. If you were to unlock all 51 of the remaining cosmetic items instead by buying Apex Packs, each of which offers three items, then you’d need to buy a minimum of 17 packs to unlock this many items, adding 1700 Apex Coins of value to the total. Alternatively, the direct value of each Common, Rare, or Epic item can be deduced by comparing the costs of crafting each rarity tier with Crafting Metals. While non-Legendary items cannot be bought directly, doing so gives the exact coin value each would be worth if it were sold directly for coins rather than being reliant on the luck of packs. If the latter method is in fact used, then the 51 items are worth significantly more – 4290 Apex Coins. This brings the total value of the Battle Pass to a massive 7790 Apex Coins. The full workings and explanation of u/DarthSartoris can be found in their original post. To put that into perspective in real money, a bundle of 6,700 Apex Coins costs $59.99. Comparatively, the 1000 Coin bundle that will cover the initial cost of the Battle Pass costs $9.99. While such calculations are unlikely to silence criticism of the actual content of the rewards, it may go some way towards convincing players that they are at least getting their money’s worth in the context of the game’s store.

How to move ridiculously fast using Grappling Hook in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How to move ridiculously fast using Grappling Hook in Apex Legends With Apex Legends players digging deep into all the game has to offer, one player has managed to discover an incredible trick with the Grappling Hook that can truly change the game. Pathfinder is already a fan-favorite Legend due to his numerous mobility options, but a newly discovered Grappling Hook trick inspired by Respawn Entertainment’s previous titles could increase his popularity even more. In a post on Reddit, ‘MrBlaBlak’ found an impressive strategy that could instantly turn the tide of any battle by easily achieving incredible speeds. MrBlaBlak’s squad was in the middle of an engagement with another team when he was looking for the best way to get into the fray. The player decided the best way to do so was to fire their Grapple Hook on a hill to launch their character forward then transitioning into a slide hop for an insane gap closing maneuver. Read more: EA respond to concerns that Apex Legends could hurt Battlefield 5’s Firestorm battle royale – The move required MrBlaBlak to shoot the hook while turning the opposite direction, giving them the speed needed to quickly cross a long distance, before using a hop slide to get right into the thick of the fight. The trick should be really familiar for Titanfall 2 players as it was a very popular way of getting around in the shooter. With a bit of practice, Pathfinder could rival the faster Legends in the game like Wraith with this insane trick. As Apex Legends grows more in popularity, there are sure to be more useful techniques just waiting to be discovered.

How can Mirage’s Passive Ability be fixed? Apex Legends player offers the perfect solution – Dexerto
How can Mirage’s Passive Ability be fixed? Apex Legends player offers the perfect solution There is no hiding the fact that Mirage’s Passive Ability in Apex Legends isn’t exactly all-powerful, but there’s a very strong idea of how it can be improved. Mirage has been a Legend in Apex Legends that’s often come under scrutiny for his underwhelming abilities, especially the Vanishing Act Ult that will never really fool experienced players. What doesn’t get talked about as much is his Encore Passive Ability, which activates when the player gets knocked, cloaking him in invisibility for five seconds while also automatically deploying a decoy. What’s wrong with Mirage’s current Passive? The reason why many players don’t fancy Mirage’s current Passive is because it really doesn’t do much to make playing as the Legend worthwhile. As Reddit user ‘765rl’ pointed out, knocked players would much rather prioritize giving their teammates intel and getting to a safe spot to be revived rather than having some ability activate. How can Mirage’s Passive be improved? While the idea above does seem like it could be an improvement, the real way Mirage’s Passive can be fixed is to completely dump it and give him a new one. Another Reddit user ‘Edawg530,’ had the brilliant idea of giving the Mirage a new Passive that would reduce the cooldown of his Tactical and Ultimate Abilities by a certain percentage any time one of the Mirage’s decoys were fired upon. This not only would allow the Passive to supplement the Tactical and Ultimate in a much better way, it would also reward players for using their other abilities in such a strategic way that it successfully fooled players. Other suggestions for Mirage As mentioned above, the topic of Mirage’s Ultimate Ability has been discussed often since the game’s release, with players not entirely convinced that it stacks up against the Ult’s of other powerful Legends. One popular idea on how that can be improved is instead of making the actual player invisible while deploying four decoys, have the player actually be visible, that way enemies will not know which of the five Mirages is the real one. Of course, whether or not Respawn Entertainment will use any of these suggestions to inspire them to make changes, remains to be seen, but there are certainly a lot of good ideas out there in the world of Apex Legends.

How many more secret animations are in Apex Legends? – Dexerto
How many more secret animations are in Apex Legends? Players have already found a handful of ‘secret’ animations in Apex Legends when reloading or using tactical abilities, but how many more are there, and will more be added? Earlier this year, it was discovered that there was a secret reload animation for the G7 Scout semi-auto sniper rifle, with the empty magazine popping out of the top of the weapon rather than the player flicking it out from underneath. Since then, players have been trying to find a way to replicate this secret animation every time they need to reload the weapon, but to no avail. It seems the animation is completely random. This begs the question, how many secret animations are there in Apex Legends? As well as the Scout reload, there is the fun Peacekeeper spinning animation when you only have one hand available, such as when on a zipline. The G7 Scout secret reload animation can be found in the Reddit post below, with many users sharing theories on the animations that exist, what has and hasn’t been found and what they think could be possible. On top of these, there are other random animations that can occur for no reason, such as Octane spinning his stim needle on his fingers before chucking it away, Wraith throwing up hand signs while using her tactical, and apparently a third hand will very rarely pop up when Mirage is reloading. The latter is a much rarer occurrence; many are still not sure whether it’s weapon-specific, or if it even exists, but it seems that every so often, players are finding new ways for their Legends to surprise them. For now, we have no clue how many secret animations there are in Apex Legends. Though several have been discovered, it’s very possible that there are even more that are yet to be found. At our calculations, there are currently at least six, though two of these are only rumored and we can’t find evidence for them. They are as follows: G7 Scout reload – Peacekeeper spin – Wraith’s hand sign – Mirage’s needle spin – Lifeline’s loud “DIBS” (rumored) – Mirage’s third hand (rumored) – With new characters, weapons and equipment coming to Apex Legends with each new season, there’s going to be a lot for Respawn Entertainment to play with, and we may see many more secret animations be discovered in the coming months.

How to see how many Apex Legends Packs you’ve opened – Dexerto
How to see how many Apex Legends Packs you’ve opened Respawn EntertainmentIn Apex Legends, players can acquire Heirloom Shards by opening Apex Packs, which can later be exchanged for cosmetic items in the shop. Here’s how to see how many Apex Legends Packs you’ve opened with the Apex Pack tracker. Apex Legends employs a failsafe mechanism to ensure players obtain Heirloom Shards within 500 Apex pack openings. Respawn implemented this measure to prevent continuous pack openings without ever acquiring these valuable shards. However, it can be tricky to keep track of exactly how many packs you’ve opened in the game. That’s where the Apex Pack Tracker comes in extremely handy. This unique tool keeps track of all the packs you’ve opened in Apex Legends and can tell you exactly how close you are to getting those guaranteed Heirloom Shards. How many Apex Packs have I opened? Getting started with the Apex pack tracker to find out how many packs you’ve opened is easy but will take some time: First, you’ll need to input basic information such as your Account level, whether or not you’ve linked your Prime Gaming account, and so on. – Going in any order you want, input your level for every season so far in Apex Legends, and leave any seasons that you’ve skipped blank. – If you’re unsure of what your Account level is in Apex, you can find it displayed above your head up until level 100 in the Lobby, or you can also track it along with other stats here. Apex Pack Tracker The Apex pack tracker lets you input everything from what level you achieved by the end of each season’s Battle Pass, to any Daily Treasure packs you might have received for quests. The tool has tips scattered throughout the site with where to find this info, and suggests checking the Season badges on any Legend. Apex calculator tips Apex Legends quests give you a total of 45 Daily Treasure Packs. You can enter how many of those you were able to get during each quest in the pack tracker’s calculator. Finally, the last two entries may be a bit tricky for some people: Purchased Packs & Bugs + Misc Packs. How many Apex Legends cheaters have been banned so far? – Dexerto
How many Apex Legends cheaters have been banned so far? Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment, developers of the popular FPS battle royale game Apex Legends, have provided an official update on the current situation of the game. Since its explosion in popularity following its February release, Apex Legends, the Titanfall-esque battle royale game, has faced an increasing problem with people cheating in order to gain an in-game advantage. As is the case with most new games, certain players quickly try to find ways of cheating in order to be more successful. Many members of the gaming community have voiced their opinions, including Dr Disrespect, who called for improvements to the game’s methods of dealing with hackers. There have been numerous responses to the issue, from the development of a report system so players can quickly and directly report players they suspect of cheating, to hilarious suggestions of forcing all cheaters to play against one another. Now, Respawn have posted an official Reddit update stating that, as of March 8, they have banned over 355,000 players on PC through their prevention system called ‘Easy-Anti-Cheat’. The incredible number of cheaters already banned reflects the vast popularity of the game, as well as Respawn’s commitment to combatting cheating. The post goes on to explain that they are exploring a number of avenues in the fight against cheating, including consulting specifically with EA and “scaling up” their anti-cheat team and resources. They also state they cannot go into too much detail with regards potential changes as they “don’t want them [cheaters] to see us coming”. Outside of cheating, Respawn also provided an update on other known issues with the game, such as crashes and potential dips in server speed at the start of games. If you are experiencing crashes whilst playing the game, check out our tips on how to prevent these errors. While there is still a long way to go in the “fight” against cheaters, it is clear that Respawn are doing all they can to ensure the average player’s experience is not ruined. We’ll continue to update this page as fresh statistics about ban numbers are released.

How long does it take to rank up the Apex Legends Season One Battle Pass? – Dexerto
How long does it take to rank up the Apex Legends Season One Battle Pass? After much anticipation, Apex Legends Season One, ‘Wild Frontier’, and the associated Battle Pass, launched to rather mixed reactions. While fans were pleased to be able to finally get their hands on some new content, many were disappointed by the content on offer. In particular, the rewards offered by the Battle Pass have faced criticism, as many players felt that they’re a little underwhelming. The content of the Battle Pass isn’t the only aspect that’s come under fire, however. In order to reap the full rewards, players will need to rank the battle pass up from level one to level 100, and it looks like that’s going to take quite a lot of time. Upon the release of the Battle Pass, players were quick to realize that the amount of experience required to level the pass to the maximum rank would be enormous. Each level requires 29,500 experience, over 10,000 more than required to rank up from level 97 to 98 in the regular levelling system, for instance. Fortunately, Battle Pass XP is earned at a faster rate than regular experience. In response to some of the criticism, a Respawn Entertainment developer confirmed that 6 experience per second is earned simply for surviving in a game, without taking into account kills or other bonuses. If you don’t play with friends, get no kills, and simply sit in a corner racking up survival time, it would take you roughly 135 hours of time in-game to rack up the experience necessary to reach level 100. However, the chances of you never getting a kill in all that time are fairly small. All of the extra bonus experience that you get for actions such as kills, dealing damage, taking down the champion squad, or playing with friends also add to your Battle Pass experience for each game. On top of this, you also get a 500xp bonus for your first kill of the day with each hero. If you were to get at least one kill with each Legend per day – unlikely for most players, perhaps, but possible – you could rack up a bonus 4500xp per day on top of the other experience gained. All things considered, Respawn estimate that it should take roughly 100 hours to rank up the Battle Pass to level 100, which they say is about 25 hours less than ranking to level 100 which the regular levelling system takes on average. Of course, skilled players consistently racking up a lot of damage and kills will manage it faster. Season One is due to last 90 days, which means that this amounts to a little over one hour per day as an average throughout the season. This stat is a little misleading, however, because that only counts the time spent in-game, for which you’re earning experience. In reality, the minutes spend loading into the game, selecting your Legend, checking out your stats and other delays between actually playing each match are likely to add up over the course of three months of play. All things considered, right now it does seem like maxing out the Battle Pass will be the domain of fairly dedicated players, but it’s entirely possible that other factors could come into play during the season. Recent leaks have suggested that there could be a possibility of Respawn adding challenges, similar to those seen in Fortnite, for players to complete during the season. If this is indeed the case, it’s very possible such challenges could offer experience rewards, which would likely reduce the time investment required to reach the maximum level. Players who doubt they’ll have time to max out the Battle Pass do have an option to get a head-start, however. Purchasing the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,600 Apex Coins offers a 25-level boost, for those that would prefer to buy some of the rewards with money rather than time.

How Lifeline’s Ultimate can be turned into a deadly trap in Apex Legends – Dexerto
How Lifeline’s Ultimate can be turned into a deadly trap in Apex Legends EAWinning games in Apex Legends is no easy task, but it can be made easier with a well-timed and placed Care Package from Lifeline. When players think of traps in Apex, Caustic or Wattson is what will usually come to mind, but it turns out that there might actually be a better character suited to the strategy. Lifeline’s Ultimate calls in a Care Package that will be filled up with impressive loot which will give her squad the upper hand in many matches. However, one player has discovered that using the package in the right situation could make all the difference between winning and losing a match, and you don’t even have to loot it. Reddit user daSQUIDD was in the endgame with the final circle closing in all around when they made the decision to trap the opposing squad in a building with a Care Package. The ultimate came hurling down and even though the other team was able to claim the gear on it, they were trapped inside the building and had to escape the moving storm through a less than ideal path. The drop isn’t destructible, so it definitely threw a wrench into any plans they had for getting through the now blocked doorway. Luckily, they did have a Wraith and were able to take her portal out of there, but it still led to their deaths and a second place finish. It turns out that Lifeline’s well-timed ultimate was able to secure a victory, confirming there are multiple ways to win using her Care Package. In most situations, it would be much more beneficial to actually get the loot from the drop, but as we see here, sometimes you don’t have to actually do that. While this more than likely won’t be phasing out a Caustic gas chamber any time soon, it seems like there is enough room in the current meta for Lifeline to get in on the action.
