  • Genius Apex Legends buff idea would take Loba’s Ult to the next level – Dexerto

Genius Apex Legends buff idea would take Loba’s Ult to the next level Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends player has devised a buff for Loba, the High Society Thief, who many believe has fallen towards the bottom of the pile when it comes to the game’s Legend pool. Season 5 saw the addition of Loba, the High Society Thief who has a history with Revenant. While many players found her a refreshing shake-up to the meta in the season of her addition, she has fallen closer to the bottom of the pile since. She’s not necessarily a weak character, but she’s certainly not in the same league as the game’s stronger legends like Mirage, Wraith, or Gibraltar. Her falling viability has seen a host of players calling for her to be buffed in Season 6, with some even proposing their own reworks. One of these is Apex Legends fan ‘ittvoy‘, who shared their ideas for the burglar’s buff to Reddit. The Redditor shared their buff ideas, reworking some of Loba’s existing abilities to make her considerably stronger. First up is the Ultimate Ability, which has been completely overhauled. “When picking up a gun in the black market, you get all the attachments and one stack of ammo for that weapon and it will all be in one weapon slot,” the Redditor said. “You can also steal loot from care packages and supply bins.” Other abilities include various black market access, all of which would make Loba significantly stronger. Furthermore, the Redditor has proposed reworks to both Loba’s Passive and Tactical abilities. Her Passive would now allow her to see all medical supplies and shields through walls, while her Tactical would be buffed to allow her to run while using her bracelet. Below are Loba’s current abilities in Apex Legends, so you can fully compare the buff ideas with how she stands now: Whether a buff for Loba is on its way anytime soon remains to be seen, but some Apex Legends players clearly believe it’s necessary.

  • “Game ruining” Apex Legends bug makes it impossible to do anything after crafting – Dexerto

“Game ruining” Apex Legends bug makes it impossible to do anything after crafting Respawn/EAApex Legends players have fallen foul of a new bug with the Replicators in Season 13 as they’re unable to do anything in random situations after using them. When Replicators and creating were first introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 6, many fans were wary about the impact the machines would have on looting and the pace of games. In the seasons since their introduction, the Replicators have become a vital part of the battle royale – especially now they contain weapons. However, they’ve also had plenty of issues as well. Over the last few seasons, players have found themselves stuck in the Replicators, and even being teleported back to them when they’re outside the ring. Though, there’s another issue giving players headaches as it prevents them from doing anything – healing, organizing their inventory, and even using abilities. Apex Legends fan DKarl1 highlighted the problem back on July 1, but it went slightly under the radar until YouTuber Skeptation shone a spotlight on it a few days later. As the player showed, once they’d used a Replicator, their game became pretty much useless. While they were able to still move around, they were unable to heal, drop items, or toggle their abilities. They were essentially a sitting duck. Other players noted that they’ve also come across the issue, that appears to have popped up more frequently following the June 30 update. “Happened to me yesterday. I’ve learned it only happens after using the crafter,” said one. “What is going on with this game?” asked another annoyed fan. The YouTuber noted that while it is a pretty “game ruining” bug, if it happens to you, you’ll have either have to use the Replicator again or get downed to make things return to normal. Some players have suggested restarting the game will fix things, but that’s a pretty timely way to address things and doesn’t really work if you’re mid-session. So, keep an eye out, and hopefully Respawn fixes it before long.

  • Game-changing Valkyrie bug in Apex Legends adds third-person mode – Dexerto

Game-changing Valkyrie bug in Apex Legends adds third-person mode Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends, for all intents and purposes, was designed as a first-person shooter. However if you wanted to play from a new third-person perspective outside of the Firing Range — just hook up to Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive in this new bug. Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive ultimate has caused no shortage of issues in Apex Legends. From players randomly phasing into objects and getting glitched out on wild terrain across the map, taking to the skies isn’t as easy as the pilot makes it seem. However a bug in Apex Legends is breaking the game in new and exciting ways, giving everyone third-person mode. You play the game as you normally would — just from a different, wider perspective. It’s also really easy to replicate so keep that in mind. All you have to do is hook up to Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive in a place where you will get stuck height-wise while on the ground. A door or a loot bin are the most common areas. Valkyrie herself cannot be affected by the bug, but because her allies are lower on the ground compared to her, they can glitch out and be flung off the ultimate with a third-person perspective and get a new outlook on the game. There is a downside to the third-person perspective though. Not only is it really hard to aim with given the view, you will also be forever tethered to the Valkyrie, making it very easy for enemies to spot where you both are. It’s not the first time players have found glitches to play the game in third-person, but it’s by far the easiest to replicate. That’s all a small cost though if you truly wanted to try out Apex Legends in the third person. It’s not ideal, but for a few laughs it’s worth giving it a whirl before Respawn patches it out.

  • Game-changing secret spots and shortcuts discovered on Apex Legends map – Dexerto

Game-changing secret spots and shortcuts discovered on Apex Legends map There are numerous secret spots and shortcuts on the Apex Legends map that can provide a huge advantage to players, and we’re here to make sure you’re familiar with at least some of them. Players who are trying to master Apex Legends must first learn the ins and outs of the map like the back of their hand. Knowing more about the game than your opponents can be a huge advantage, and even the smallest advantages can eventually lead to match victories when it comes to battle royales. With this in mind, YouTuber ‘mfewke’ has compiled together all of the lesser known spots and shortcuts on the Apex Legends map that can prove to be very useful and potentially even game-changing. Keep in mind that a lot of these are much easier to access with the Pathfinder’s Tactical and Ultimate Abilities, so the details outlined in this guide in terms of how to get to these spots are meant mainly for other Legends. The YouTuber has highlight 11 spots and shortcuts, and they’ve all been listed below along with the area of the map they’re located in and a brief description of how to reach them. Skull Town: You can climb onto the bones of the giant skeleton and eventually get pretty high up, providing you with many direct lines of sight to the areas both below and around you. – Wetlands: Instead of taking the usual route to get to the upper level, just use one of the smaller structures to climb onto the side of the cliff and then climb onto the upper landing. – Near Market: A nearby cliff has a nice plateaued are on its side that can be reached by climbing a short way. From here, you will have a nice view of Market and other nearby areas. – The Pit: Climbing the inner walls of The Pit will get you to an elevated platform that you can shoot from at unsuspecting enemies. The metal bars around the platform also provide good cover if you simply want to hide. – Near Cascades: The hill near the Cascades can be a daunting climb if there are enemies nearby, but you can avoid the main hillside by using the rocks to climb to the top. – Two Spines: The large skeletons located near Wetlands are hard to climb, and an easy way to get get on top of them is to use the Jump Tower that’s located just south of it. – Water Treatment: There are two ways to get on top of the roof of the main buildings in Water Treatment, other than using a Pathfinder’s abilities: Open the second floor doors outward and use them as ledges to climb to the roof. – The Jump Tower located at the side of the main buildings lets you glide down to the roof nice and easy. – – Airbase: A short and easy way to get across the main building in Airbase is to climb the fence then onto the middle platform, which cuts directly through the building and offers a nice view of the entire area. – Airbase: The surrounding buildings in Airbase may be too high to climb normally, but climbing the rocks on its side offers an easy way to get to the roof. – Central canyon: The central canyon between Cascades and Bridges sees three different paths meet at a clearing in the middle, which also contains a Respawn point. To avoid potentially getting pinched here, you can climb the nearby cliff to a higher landing, which provides both cover and a great spot to shoot from. – You can check out all of these spots and shortcuts in the YouTube video below, which includes a visual demonstration of how to properly reach them and how they can be used against unsuspecting opponents. Make sure to also check out the guide containing 10 tips and tricks for mastering advanced movement techniques in Apex Legends, also made by the very same YouTuber! Now that you’ve checked out this guide, you are armed with potentially game-changing knowledge of the Apex Legends map, so go ahead and load into a game and see if it helps you win more matches!

  • Game-breaking revive bug returns in Apex Legends Season 6 – Dexerto

Game-breaking revive bug returns in Apex Legends Season 6 Respawn EntertainmentA long-standing issue that has plagued players in Apex Legends has reared its head again in Season 6, preventing players from reviving their teammates whatsoever – very costly in the heat of battle. This bug is nothing new of course, having cropped up in various seasons in the past. But, for some time it seemed to have been fixed. Then, at the end of Season 5, a player had the bug ruin one of their games again. With it so close to the end of the season, there were hopes it would be patched up for Season 6. When the update came along on August 17 though, the patch notes made no mention of a fix for the revive issue. Still, sometimes bugs are fixed in the background without mention in the patch notes. However, it appears that Respawn are yet to crack the mystery of this revive bug, which, while rare, is incredibly frustrating. It may also lead to players being reported, or receiving abuse from random teammates who think that they’re opponent is deliberately not reviving them. In actual fact, players are sometimes struck with the bug that simply gives them no prompt to revive their fallen teammate. Just a couple days into Season 6, and one player has already shared a repeat of the bug on Reddit. No matter what they tried, the game would simply not give them a prompt to revive the fallen Loba player on their team. From Loba’s perspective, it probably looked like their teammates were just being mean. Respawn themselves are yet to address this bug, and it doesn’t appear on their public Trello board of issues they’re investigating. Given the attention it has got within the community now though, on numerous occasions, hopefully it can be patched up soon to prevent any more frustrating encounters like this one.

  • Game-breaking knockdown glitch continues to plague Apex Legends, even in Season 2 – Dexerto

Game-breaking knockdown glitch continues to plague Apex Legends, even in Season 2 Apex Legends continues to be haunted by a severe glitch that is affecting players who get knocked down by enemies during combat. While the launch of the highly anticipated Season 2 of Apex Legends introduced a lot of new content and major changes to the popular battle royale, it did not do a great job at fixing some of the game’s biggest issues. There continue to exist glitches, bugs, and exploits, some of which have the potential of really affecting gameplay in a negative way. One such glitch is allowing players who get knocked down by enemies to continue to fire their weapon, which is obviously not what’s supposed to happen when a player gets shot down. The video below, posted by Reddit user ‘Slive111,’ shows this glitch in full effect, as the player is able to fire his weapon and inflict damage on an enemy despite bleeding out on the floor. What’s really astonishing about this glitch, aside from that fact that it’s clearly game-breaking, is that it’s actually been around for nearly as long as the game has. The issue was first discovered by players mid-February, shortly after the game’s release, followed several weeks later by popular Twitch streamer Timthetatman coming across the glitch himself, and losing his mind in the process. What’s more, the developers at Respawn Entertainment haven’t ever really discussed this issue, so its cause remains unclear. One Reddit user, however, commented on the post above that that cause has to do with “the timing of an animation lining up perfectly with you getting downed,” although that still doesn’t explain why it hasn’t been fixed yet. Apex Legends Season 2 now available After months of hype, the second season of Apex Legends finally launched on July 2, adding the brand new Legend Wattson, introducing several major changes to the Kings Canyon map, implementing buffs and nerfs to a variety of weapons, and more. Season 2 is now available for free on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Game-breaking exploit allows players to crash entire Apex Legends matches – Dexerto

Game-breaking exploit allows players to crash entire Apex Legends matches Respawn EntertainmentAn exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that allows players to crash entire matches and kick everyone back to the lobby. When it comes to glitches and exploits in Apex Legends, the majority of them are relatively minor and do not affect players’ gameplay experience. This means there’s no rush for Respawn to implement a patch and fix the issue as they are labeled as low priority. Unfortunately, every so often a major bug is discovered by the community that can have a huge impact on players if it’s abused, as showcased by the infinite Rampage charge glitch. Now, another game-breaking exploit has been found and this time it allows players to crash entire matches. Major Apex Legends exploit crashes entire lobbies In hopes of bringing Respawn’s attention to the exploit, Reddit user Altruistic_Tourist_1 posted a clip of the major glitch to the Apex Legends subreddit. After a long setup, it’s possible to perform a set of actions in a row and crash an entire game server. While at first Altruistic_Tourist_1 assumed this was just removing them from a game, they soon realized that it actually kicked everyone from a match. It’s safe to say this game-breaking bug needs to be addressed immediately by Respawn before players start abusing the exploit in Ranked to ruin matches for their opponents. It’s recommended that nobody replicates this glitch in-game as Respawn has made it clear that account suspensions will be handed out to those who abuse exploits. In a lot of cases, these bans are permanent and the devs have even threatened legal action against DDoSers in the past. Let’s hope Respawn fixes this bug as soon as possible or a lot of matches may start ending early, especially in Ranked where the stakes are highest.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends smoke exploit has been discovered – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends smoke exploit has been discovered Another major exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that immediately classifies under the category of “game-breaking.” This new exploit allows players to essentially remove the smoke effect from their own game coding and thus allowing them to see through smoke in-game as if it wasn’t even there. Smoke is, of course, an important aspect of the Bangalore’s Tactical Ability ‘Smoke Launcher,’ which allows the Legend to fire grenades that release a plume of thick, gray smoke that cannot be seen through. This smoke can be used both offensively and defensively, as players can take advantage of the visual cover to escape or change position, or they can shoot through the smoke if they have the rare Digital Threat optical sight on one of their weapons. Once this is done, the next time the game is launched, smoke will no longer appear on the player’s screen as the game’s coding will no longer render the effect. A demonstration of this exploit, a long with the step-by-step process of how to activate it, can be seen in the video below, courtesy of former Overwatch pro player Mendokusaii. It’s important to note that Mendo’s purpose in publishing this video is not to teach players how to take advantage of this exploit, but rather to raise awareness so that Respawn Entertainment will work to remove it from the game. In his video, Mendo explains how these types of commands that are input into the game files are usually “cheat protected,” meaning they can’t be used when playing online, but it appears that Respawn may have overlooked this specific one. He does point out that the glitch has one drawback, which is that it also removes bullet trails from the game, so players can no longer effectively tell from which direction they’re getting shot at. The presence of this exploit is certainly alarming, and it joins the list of other game-breaking glitches in Apex Legends, such as the one that allows knocked players to continue using their weapons. Until Respawn fixes these issues, and work harder at filtering out cheaters, the integrity of the game will continue to be compromised, and a solid and successful esports scene will remain out of the question.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends Seer & Rampart bug literally kicks players out of matches – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends Seer & Rampart bug literally kicks players out of matches Respawn EntertainmentSeer’s kit has been referred to as “broken” by many Apex Legends players, but a new interaction with Rampart actually seems to crash the server and kick everyone out of the lobby. The game by Respawn Entertainment has seen a sudden climb in player base due to ongoing hacker issues in Warzone. Season 10 dropped earlier this month bringing in Seer the Ambush Artist, who seems to be really strong in the current meta. Players have been running around with the new Legend and absolutely destroying games with his recon tools and “overpowered” kit. However, lots of people in the community are discovering that Seer paired up with Rampart can be a recipe for disaster. Seer and Rampart team up to crash the servers Seer casting his ultimate and Rampart placing hers down inside of it seems to be what sets this bug off. This is shown off in the clip below from Reddit posted by ‘veryuncreative_name’ which shows in the firing range how they get kicked. This new bug between the two definitely seems to be game-breaking. After it happens, the servers can crash and kick every single player out of the lobby. Numerous people have replied to this saying that they have received that same error code and are kicked out of their current match. This also doesn’t give players a chance to reconnect and sometimes results in a 10 minute cool down. Some people have been joking around saying that this isn’t a bug and Seer just is that strong. One Redditor said “That’s Seer’s passive duh” joking with the community because a lot of people are waiting for the next patch to nerf the legend. For now, it is seemingly a bug and with all the noise it is creating on social media players can hope that Respawn is aware of this issue and working on a fix.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends glitch is phasing players into solid objects – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends glitch is phasing players into solid objects Respawn EntertainmentMore Apex Legends players are phasing through solid objects in Season 4, and this time it’s got nothing to do with the glitched refrigerator on World’s Edge. There’s been more of these instances ever since the community became aware that a hollowed fridge could be used as an excellent hiding spot for players looking to avoid combat or set up a surprise attack. Now there are examples of the same instance occurring but with building pillars and even Legend ultimates such as Lifeline’s Care Package ordinance. It’s unclear how the players got themselves locked in there, but clips like Reddit user ‘Slooshe’s shows that they can appear just about anywhere. Going through the fields on Fragment West, Slooshe climbed up a ledge near some Death boxes when they saw a player’s legs poking out from the pillar nearby. They were stuck within the object’s parameters and when the glitched player took a shot, it got stopped by the way they were trapped in. “I’ve gotten glitched into a wall twice in the last week both times were from coming through Wraith portal,” another player wrote. “I was stuck and couldn’t get out.” Since bullets weren’t making their way through, Slooshe took out a couple of Thermite grenades to burn the glitched foe out of their spot. Another instance from user ‘dibsmeister’ was a bit more bizarre since it made shrouded an opponent within the Combat Medic’s ultimate ability. After a fight with two other teams, there was one opponent left to take care of but they were glitched inside of the Care Package. Just like Slooshe, the player took out two Thermites and threw them to the foot of the drop pod where the foe’s health quickly ticked down. It doesn’t look like these glitches give people an advantage over the competition. In the first instance, the player got stuck in a building without an escape. In the second, they were trapped in the Care Package while the other team swarmed them just before finishing this off. In either case, it looks like this could be a bug that Respawn looks to fix in order to prevent more Apex Legends players from getting stuck within objects.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit makes Caustic completely invincible to bullets – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit makes Caustic completely invincible to bullets Respawn EntertainmentCaustic’s Nox Gas Traps are making the Toxic Trapper completely invincible to bullets, giving players an unfair advantage over their foes. Apex Legends Season 13 is in full swing and while many players are currently getting to grips with Newcastle, it’s Caustic that should be feared. Following on from his Nox Gas Trap changes, the toxic Defender now has an incredibly broken exploit that renders him completely impervious to bullets. Combine this with the game’s current hit-reg issues and you have a recipe for some extremely frustrating scenarios. While Caustic is one of the least picked Legends in the current meta, being unkillable is certainly a strength many characters could only dream to achieve. Apex Legends Caustic bug makes Legend invincible to bullets Originally, Caustic mains could hide within their own traps and use them as a way to ambush and shield themselves from enemy players. Not only was this tactic fairly potent for wracking up kills, but it also led to some rather frustrating moments for his enemies. In order to address this issue, Respawn has adjusted the ability to make it less oppressive. Now the Toxic Defender’s Nox Gas Traps stay uninflated if Caustic gets too close to them, completely removing his ability to set up camp within them. Well, this isn’t exactly the case – in fact, Apex Legends YouTuber, Skeptation, highlighted a game-breaking exploit that makes Caustic invincible to bullets. While the Legend’s Nox Gas Traps won’t inflate when he’s near them, the original hitbox for the ability still remains. This means Caustic can surround himself with traps and use them as cover. As the traps technically haven’t been activated, they take no damage from bullets, making them completely invincible to bullets. If you do find someone using this exploit, then simply use grenades or other explosives to eliminate him. Skeptation also notes that players can melee Caustic to knock him out of his defensive position. Of course, like most game-breaking bugs and exploits, it’s best to avoid them as the devs will likely issue bans to anyone abusing them. Hopefully, Respawn will address this bug quickly, but in the meantime, it’s best to exercise caution when dealing with Caustic.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit lets players glitch underneath Olympus – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit lets players glitch underneath Olympus Respawn EntertainmentA major Apex Legends exploit is allowing players to glitch underneath Olympus by using the huge Phase Runner portal. Season 13 of Apex Legends is well underway and players are finally getting to grips with Newcastle’s kit, the Ranked Reloaded changes, and of course, the new POI on Storm Point. Despite this, the Saviors update has had a few issues since launch that Respawn have had to address, including Xbox lobby crashes, RP protection not working as intended, and extra players being added to Ranked matches. Well, another issue appears to have surfaced and this time it revolves around the city in the sky, Olympus. Using a strange method, players have figured out how to glitch underneath the map using the Phase Runner portal while diving down from the dropship. Apex Legends exploit allows players to get under Olympus Showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, an exploit is allowing players to gain access to areas under Olympus and effectively walk around in mid-air. While the glitch does provide an impressive view of the city below, it can also be abused to gain an advantage over opponents and shouldn’t be replicated. According to Ross, this bug has been a problem in Apex for multiple seasons and Respawn is yet to roll out a fix. Luckily, with Storm Point and Worlds Edge being in the current Ranked map rotation for Season 13, it’s impossible for players to abuse the exploit to gain RP. Nonetheless, with this glitch being present for a long time already, Respawn will need to make this a priority fix in the near future. Keep in mind, that abusing or utilizing an exploit like this in an online match will likely result in your account being suspended, as the devs are cracking down on players deliberately using bugs. Don’t forget to check out @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends guides, news, and leaks.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends bug allows Wraith to survive in the storm – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends bug allows Wraith to survive in the storm Already one of the most widely utilized characters in all of Apex Legends, Wraith has become even more powerful on behalf of a ridiculous exploit that allows her to indefinitely survive out in the storm. Despite being a playable character from launch, dedicated Apex Legends fans have still been discovering a number of fascinating ways to use Wraith’s abilities in combat of late. From scouting opposing players while inside the ‘void’ to extraordinarily impressive maneuvers from some of the very best professional players around the world, there’s never any shortage of impressive developments with the character. A new exploit might take the cake for being the most powerful tactic of them however, as a repeatable trick allows Wraith to survive in the storm seemingly forever. Showcased from the losing side of the equation by Reddit user ‘imaminus,’ a new glitch involving Wraith’s ‘Into the Void’ ability allows her to repeat the effects of the mechanic over and over again without taking a single hit-point worth of damage. Into the Void turns Wraith invincible for a total of three seconds, not a great deal of time in the grand scheme of things. However, this is the tradeoff for what is essentially a get out of jail free card that can help you flee from potential danger in the blink of an eye. With a 25 second cooldown in effect, the ability is typically used as a means of rapid travel, however a new exploit seems to make it one of the most absurd mechanics in the game to date. Repeating the three-second function without any form of cooldown in between, not only enables Wraith to survive any incoming damage from opposing players, but also every second of health-drain that comes when caught out in the storm. With only one enemy left standing, a full squad of three teammates stood tall as the safe zone continued to shrink around them. Unable to dispose of the final opponent, the team tried all sorts of tactics to overrule the exploit and deal some damage to the Wraith player endlessly stuck in the void. From Cautic’s Noxious Gas Traps to regular old bullets from an assortment of weapons, nothing appeared capable of breaking through and impacting the competitor. “I hate this champ so much,” a teammate chimed in as the final zone disappeared and all three players were eliminated in a matter of seconds, leaving Wraith as the final Legend alive and the ultimate victor. Undeniably a ridiculous aspect of Wraith’s kit at this point in time, the three players who fought their way to the end without nefarious tactics felt robbed of a victory. There’s no telling just how this exploit can be replicated but hopefully Wraith players steer clear of the evidently broken feature until Respawn Entertainment releases a patch to address the issue.

  • “Game-breaking” Apex Legends bug stops players from looting deathboxes – Dexerto

“Game-breaking” Apex Legends bug stops players from looting deathboxes Respawn EntertainmentThe Season 5 update for Apex Legends introduced a bug that players are referring to as “game-breaking” since it prevents them from looting deathboxes and items captured by Loba’s ultimate ability. Players across consoles are reportedly unable to pick up items from stashes while using the ‘Ninja’ layout of their controller’s button scheme. It’s unknown if a similar issue is affecting PC users with controllers, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players are experiencing the problem. After a skirmish, swiftly sifting through deathboxes to restock on munitions or upgrade your arsenal is essential for staying one step ahead in a fight. But that process gets deterred when the game stops you from picking up items in the first place. Instead, players like Reddit user ‘KillerIcyGH’ are inadvertently pinging the item that they want instead of taking out of the drop down menu for the stashes. The same can be said for Loba’s ‘Black Market Boutique’ ultimate that keeps the High Society Thief from rightfully claiming what her ability gathered. “For people who don’t know,” user ‘peishaf’ said. “Since Season 5 there is a bug through which one can no longer loot deathboxes, you can only ping loot.” There’s been numerous threads on the topic posted in the Apex Legends subreddit as more players encounter the problem. While the Respawn developers would be quick to resolve this issue, in the meantime, crafty users have been looking for temporary workarounds until the problem is patched. “The workaround,” user ‘zoganshero’ explained. “For now, you can actually customize your button layout, and by using the down button on the dpad for pings, you can default to using a to pick up items.” Now this might pose a problem for Mirage players, but until Respawn come through with a proper fix, you’ll have to pick your poison on which button gets remapped. At this point in the game’s lifecycle there will be people who have their button layout refined and perfected. But players who regularly opt into the Ninja layout will have to contend with the fix. Looting from fallen opponents is a fundamental feature in any battle royale, so the workaround will just have to hold over until the Apex Legends devs can mend the issue.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends bug makes Wraith’s ultimate totally useless – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends bug makes Wraith’s ultimate totally useless Respawn EntertainmentWraith players are being left high and dry in Apex Legends this season, after the emergence of a game-breaking new glitch making the Offensive legend’s ultimate ability completely useless in World’s Edge lobbies. The Voidwalker has been an undisputed top pick in Apex Legends since Respawn’s battle royale dropped in 2019, recently retaking her throne as number one. Apex Legends players are being punished for picking up Wraith in World’s Edge matches right now, however, with a nasty new bug totally ruining her Dimensional Rift ultimate ability Every time it’s used on the popular Talos battlefield, it totally disappears into nearby structures. The bug is, unfortunately, very repeatable too. It’s gotten so bad Wraith players are being forced to stop picking her in World’s Edge matches. Don’t worry though — Respawn devs are already on the job. Apex Legends devs have already been investigating the issue, and now believe the error comes from specific interactions on World’s Edge. In particular, they warn Wraith players to steer clear of the map’s centerpiece building, the Harvester, which was added to the battlefield at the expense of popular point of interest Sorting Factory in Season 4. This high-tier loot area — it boasts a hefty 24 loot bins — has a high repeat rate for the ultimate bug, with the building’s code somehow deleting Wraith’s ultimate. Respawn has been hard at work trying to fix the game-changing glitch, with a solution expected to arrive sometime around the Season 12 update next month. Luckily, World’s Edge isn’t in the Apex Legends ranked rotation this season, with new battlefield Storm Point totally dominating proceedings there. Respawn is working on a fix for the Wraith bug too, and should have it solved by the time the map in question rolls back around in competitive lobbies. Wraith fans have had it tough recently, with players reporting her Tactical Ability has been randomly failing in Apex Legends games across Season 11 too.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends bug makes reviving impossible – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends bug makes reviving impossible Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have uncovered a game-breaking glitch that makes it impossible to revive a downed teammate even though it appears as if they’re walking instead of crawling. Since its surprising release back in February, Apex Legends has been able to make its mark in the battle royale scene by taking Fortnite, PUBG, and Call of Duty: Blackout head-on. However, even though it racked up over 50 million players and knocked Fortnite off its perch at one point, the game hasn’t been without issue. Players have noted abnormalities with the audio, weapon recoil, and it’s overall FPS output. Yet, a new problem has reared its head – and it’s about being unable to keep your team in the fight. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user tracking_down showed off a clip from a recent game where they were attempting to revive a teammate during the late stages. As the Redditor attempted the gutsy revive, they were gunned down by a flanking enemy and knocked out of the game – waiting for a helping hand from their third team member. However, instead of crawling around on the floor and using a knockback shield to defend themselves, the user was able to move around the map and head towards the other part of their trio – just without the use of a weapon or any grenades. The Redditor’s final teammate, who was still in the midst of a gunfight with enemies, was seemingly confused at being unable to pull off a revive before being taken down themselves. As the final kill came in, though, the glitched player could be seen falling to ground in the normal fashion of an elimination – almost as if no bug had just occurred on-screen and everything was just fine. With Respawn gearing up for the long-awaited season three, which is called Meltdown, it’s unknown if they’re going to be tackling any major bugs prior to its release on October 1. Members of the development team are active on the subreddit but haven’t quite come across the issue as of writing. Should they issue a response, however, you can be sure to find an update here.

  • “Game-breaking” Apex Legends bug is making Ash’s phase ultimate useless – Dexerto

“Game-breaking” Apex Legends bug is making Ash’s phase ultimate useless Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are finding themselves completely baffled by a “game-breaking” bug that sees Ash sent back to the main menu just for using her Ultimate ability. With the start of Apex Legends Season 11, the familiar face of Titanfall’s Ash was introduced to the battle royale and she’s immediately become one of the go-to legends for many players. The dastardly villain’s Phase Breach ultimate has, for some players, reduced the need for Wraith as they can rip open a one-sided portal and teleport to the other side with ease. However, as some players have found, there are some spots in the battle royale where the ultimate becomes pretty useless and will end your match grind to a halt. Ash ultimate bug is ruining matches The issue was highlighted by Apex Legends fan Bruhmobile123 on Reddit, showing that when they used Ash’s Ultimate ability, they were teleported back to the main menu rather than to their high ground spot of choice. Some players suggested that it must be a bugged spot given that the ultimate has some issues with the surrounding area, though others suggest it’s to do with the animation of the ultimate. Regardless, the original poster noted that they’ve been able to replicate it time and time again with the same issue – finding themselves heading back to the main menu. Naturally, some players took the opportunity to poke fun at the issue. “Tearing through to the lobby,” one amused player said. As of writing, the developers haven’t addressed this particular issue as of yet but if it continues to affect players, they most likely will do so before long.

  • Apex Legends dev threatens bans for infinite Rampage & Sentinel charge exploit – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev threatens bans for infinite Rampage & Sentinel charge exploit RespawnApex Legends devs have confirmed they’re working on a fix for the infinite Rampage & Sentinel charge exploit and have even threatened abusers with a ban. The Rampage LMG and Sentinel are fairly standard weapons at a glance, but their ability to be powered up in the middle of a skirmish makes them a real force to be reckoned with. However, in early December, players discovered an exploit that allowed both guns to be infinitely charged. The method quickly spread around the community and soon it was becoming the norm in Ranked to see opponents abusing the glitch. Although a fix was implemented on December 10, it wasn’t long before players had found a workaround and the bug had taken over the BR once again. Now, Respawn devs have confirmed once again that they’re working on a fix but this time, they’ve even threatened abusers of the glitch with a ban. Apex dev threatens bans for infinite charge bug abusers Taking to Twitter on January 4, Producer at Respawn Josh Medina confirmed that the devs were working on a fix for the glitch and that it shouldn’t be long before the infinite charge exploits are gone for good. This was great news for a lot of Apex fans, as the bug has become a serious issue in Ranked, with countless players abusing the exploit to gain an advantage over their opponents. With today being the last day of our time off for the holidays… I can safely say I’m ready to get back to it and make some dope stuff come to life we’ll address the Rampage issues tomorrow thanks to my homeslice @RSPN_JayBiebs @benbrinkman Imma be late in the morning lol pic.twitter.com/tVjMcnzhKV — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) January 4, 2022 The devs didn’t stop there, with Live Balance Designer John Larson suggesting that there may be consequences for those who abused the bug. Taking to Twitter on January 5, he mentioned that although he doesn’t carry the “banhammer”, he’d look into taking action against the worst of the abusers. Took a much needed break from working on and playing Apex and instead went outside for a couple weeks. IRL graphics go hard. Infinite charge Rampage and Sentinel also go hard, but like, in a way less fun way. While I don’t personally carry a banhammer I’ll see what we can do… pic.twitter.com/ZU4TMzlQEm — JayBiebs (@RSPN_JayBiebs) January 5, 2022 As the glitch has been in the game for so long, it seems like it would be difficult to pinpoint which players deserve a ban, but we’ll just have to wait and see what Respawn decides to do. Finally, at least it seems like the Rampage and Sentinel will return to their original state, and other weapons will be able to compete once again.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit lets you see through walls – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends exploit lets you see through walls Apex Legends players have discovered an exploit that essentially gives you a wallhack – provided you can ping the location of an enemy and have a digital threat scope to hand. Players have flocked to Respawn Entertainment’s take on the battle royale genre as they look for something that isn’t Fortnite or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. While the game has proven to be immensely popular since releasing in February, it isn’t without its faults – as players regularly uncover bugs and glitch that range from game-breaking to small annoyances. However, another issue has been found that will give players a wallhack-like ability. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Lord_Spinkingham pointed out that pinging a structure with enemies on and then using a digital threat scope to locate them will let you see players through walls. The Redditor showcased this by showing off a gunfight between themselves and players upon a supply ship. As the video showed, Lord_Spinkingham was able to see players that had been using boxes for cover – and was even able to look through their own cover to see a perfect outline of where the enemies stood. While plenty of bugs can be a one-off instance, another poster chimed in on the video to explain that they’ve been able to pull off the same tactic with other weapons at other locations. “Yeah, I noticed this with a rock in a match earlier, with a PK [Peacekeeper] though,” added Reddit user TorranceS33. Members of the Apex Legends developer team are active in the subreddit, as they regularly provide updates on bugs and other issues, but it’s unknown if they have been made aware of this latest problem. Once it does come to their attention, though, it likely won’t take long for a fix to be in place considering that a wallhack-lite will give anyone that opts to use a massive advantage over their opponents.

  • “Game-breaking” Apex Legends banner bug stops players from looting – Dexerto

“Game-breaking” Apex Legends banner bug stops players from looting Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a “game-breaking” glitch that causes them to lose their hands and prevents them from doing anything if they try to grab a respawn banner from a zipline. While battle royale games all follow a similar formula, Apex Legends has broken the mold a little bit – bringing in features that have been copied elsewhere, like the loot vaults and respawn beacons. These respawn beacons actually give players who have been downed and, eventually eliminated, a second chance in the match – provided that a teammate can claim their banner from their death box in the time given. It’s usually a simple enough process, made easier by using a legend like Crypto and his drone. Yet, some players have been running into problems. The new issue was revealed by Reddit user IncomingFrag, who showcased a video from a recent game where they had attempted to rescue a teammate’s banner from a rooftop in World’s Edge’ Fracture East location. Read More: How to stop Loba’s teleport in Apex Legends – As the death box was sat at the top of an elevator shaft, the Redditor bounced around and used the zipline there to try and avoid enemy fire – given that the banner was so close to the shaft’s exit. IncomingFrag managed to retrieve the banner after a few seconds, but moments later their hands had gone missing. As seen in the video, the Redditor’s HUD is completely normal – showing that they had weapons equipped and ready to use – yet, they are unable to wield them. Instead, running around the map without hands. In a bid to try and respawn their fallen teammates, seeing if that, perhaps, reset their missing hands, IncomingFrag attempted to use a Respawn Beacon but was unable too. The player was eventually eliminated as they couldn’t defend themselves. Other players noted how strange the problem was upon seeing it, with some reporting it to Respawn in order to try and get it fixed. The glitch hasn’t yet appeared on the developer’s Trello board of issues so it remains to be seen as to whether or not they are aware of it and if they can get a fixed worked out.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends Bangalore skin glitch is finally being fixed – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends Bangalore skin glitch is finally being fixed Respawn EntertainmentWant to finally use the flashy new Bangalore Mil-Spec skin in Apex Legends? Respawn have finally fixed the game-breaking glitch associated with the cosmetic, and it should be available to equip within days. Bangalore got a new Legendary skin during Apex Legends Season 11 called Mil-Spec to celebrate her Stories from the Outlands cinematic. However, much like her brother, it went missing in action pretty quickly. The skin was taken down quickly after it launched when players discovered the new cosmetic was breaking games. Simply hovering over Bangalore in the Legend Select screen when booting into a game would crash players’ games. With the cosmetic being unavailable for over a week, and players getting antsy over the money they spent on it, Respawn have finally organized a fix — and it’s coming soon. “I believe the patch to correct the issue with this skin should roll out at some point tomorrow, barring any unforeseen issues there,” EA Community Manager ‘Mako’ said on January 12. If the timeline holds up, Bangalore’s Mil-Spec skin should be available again in Apex Legends starting January 13, or at the very least by this weekend ahead. You can still purchase the skin in anticipation of it being re-added back into the game — it will leave the in-game shop on January 19, 2022. However, for those holding out for the Sentinel and Rampage to be added back, there’s been no news on that front. The weapons have been disabled for over a week now, and with ALGS Playoffs on the horizon, Respawn will be hurriedly working towards a fix for the infinite charge exploit.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends Arenas exploit lets Wraith teleport pre-match – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends Arenas exploit lets Wraith teleport pre-match Respawn/EAApex Legends are managing to jump ahead in games of Arenas, getting outside of their safe zone way before the round is supposed to start. After being introduced at the start of Season 9: Legacy, Arenas has proven to be a pretty popular mode with Apex players. The 3v3 mode puts players in small areas from around the different battle royale maps, where whichever team eliminates the other first, wins. While popular, the mode has had its issues. Players have been able to get free recharges on Octane’s stim as well as being able to identify the real Mirage amongst his clones because of a nametag bug. Now, there’s a new issue with Wraith portals that some players say is “game-breaking.” The issue comes from Wraith having used a portal in the previous round. For some reason, when the round ends, the portal stays active and can be used. As one Redditor shows, as soon as the round starts and you’ve bought equipment, you can jump to wherever the portal was placed – phasing through the safe zone that usually prevents you from moving before the round gets underway. That means you get a massive head start on your enemies, and can pretty much wait for them without them knowing. As some players pointed out, you could simply wait with grenades and do major damage as soon as the round begins. While some fans said that Respawn needed to be alerted to it, one dev commented and said that they were, meaning they might be able to get it sorted out soon. Players will, no doubt, want it addressed before it becomes too widespread of an exploit and begins making Arenas matches unplayable. That’s on Respawn, though, and they haven’t said how long it’ll take to address it.

  • G2 pulls out of competitive Apex Legends after failed ALGS qualification – Dexerto

G2 pulls out of competitive Apex Legends after failed ALGS qualification G2 EsportsApex Legends has seen a mass exodus of esports organizations as of late, with some of the biggest orgs pulling out of the ALGS and now G2 has joined that group. In a trend that’s worrying fans of competitive Apex Legends, some of the biggest names in esports have been letting go of their rosters and making their exit from the ALGS. Cloud9 and Team Liquid both made their departure in December 2022, and now, G2 is following suit. Despite having big names like Tyler ‘Dezignful’ Gardener, Jordan ‘Resultuh’ Resulta, and Nathan ‘ChaoticMuch’ Gajkiewicz signed to their organization, G2 is dropping their roster and pulling out of Apex Legends. G2 announce their departure from Apex Legends Like the other teams that pulled out of Apex Legends, G2 missed qualification for the upcoming ALGS Season 3 LAN event in London. North America only had 10 slots, so getting your hands on one of those spots wasn’t easy. And, while the current G2 roster didn’t have the best performance in 2022, it was a roster with a lot of potential. Dezignful in particular is one of the most recognizable names in Apex Legends pro play, and is also a very popular streamer. This team had some real talent behind it, but we’ll never know how well they could have done if given another year under the G2 banner. While this is an unfortunate outcome for Resultuh and Dezignful, they had been with G2 for a while and have had their opportunity to try to bring success to the org. Chaotic just got signed in November of 2022. With less than 2 months worth of experience playing on the team, Chaotic is off the team and looking for a new home. Orgs are setting the precedent that teams who don’t make it to the biggest LAN event aren’t worth backing. A precedent that has worried many fans of competitive Apex Legends.

  • G2 Apex Legends pro called out for threatening fellow player: “Catch you at TwitchCon” – Dexerto

G2 Apex Legends pro called out for threatening fellow player: “Catch you at TwitchCon” Respawn Entertainment / DezignfulG2 Esports Apex Legends pro Dezignful is being called out by another player for seemingly threatening to do something to them at TwitchCon later this year. TwitchCon is one of the biggest events for internet influences to meet and interact with their fans. However, an Apex Legends player is considering not going to this year’s event. Twitch streamer and Apex player inhuman claims that he has been threatened by G2 pro Dezignful after a heated exchange in the private messages was posted. This led to Dezignful’s alleged “racist” comment. He said, “You guys are f**king dogshit and this f**king game, with your stupid ass f**king names.” Inhuman was spreading this around the community so Dezignful took matters into the DMs. Since the altercation, inhuman has tagged both G2 and Twitch in posts. He said he planned to attend TwitchCon with his girlfriend but another person is “threatening my visit.” Dexerto has reached out to G2 for comment and will update this if the org makes a statement on the situation.

  • Future Apex Legends Lifeline nerf hidden in War Games event trailer – Dexerto

Future Apex Legends Lifeline nerf hidden in War Games event trailer Respawn/EAA future change to Lifeline has seemingly been revealed in the War Games event trailer, and it looks like her revive shield is being changed. Respawn Entertainment have been shaking up their crop of legends with each new season, and Season 9 should be no different. A new legend – either Ash or Blisk, if leaks are true – would be added as usual, and changes will be made to the existing characters. Previously, members of the Respawn team have spoken about Lifeline being changed. She’s currently in a strong position as it relates to the meta, but is in line for a passive nerf and ultimate buff. The devs have teased getting rid of the shield that Lifeline throws up when reviving a teammate, and that looks like it could be the case – but it might not be completely gone. In the recent War Games event trailer, players noticed that there is a quick scene where the camera is zoomed in on Lifeline but one of her teammates is being picked up just behind her. Read More: What is Solace City in Apex Legends? – The DOC healing bot is helping them to their feet as normal, however, the shield is nowhere to be seen. This has led some eagle-eyed and quick-thinking fans to point out that, like Respawn teased, the nerf on Lifeline’s passive should be that either her shield is gone for good or it’s on a bit of a cooldown. Apex lead Daniel Klein previously noted that getting rid of the shield would “gut her” and that a cooldown per teammate was being considered. The exact details of the change aren’t confirmed, however, this quick secret should lock in a change for Season 9. Players have voiced their concern with getting rid of the shield completely, but it remains to be seen which path the devs will take until we get patch notes.

  • Fuse and Bloodhound’s Apex Legends love story, as told by VA Ben Prendergast – Dexerto

Fuse and Bloodhound’s Apex Legends love story, as told by VA Ben Prendergast Respawn / EAThe Apex Legends community melted down when Fuse and Bloodhound, one of fandom’s favorite couples, finally got together. Voice actor Ben Prendergast opened up to Dexerto about that experience, the heirloom, and the importance of LGBT representation. Apex Legends has a reputation for pioneering diverse LGBT relationships in AAA gaming. On release in 2019, Bloodhound was a breath of fresh air for non-binary representation, something that has since become more commonplace in gaming. Accompanied by Gibraltar, an openly gay man, Respawn worked diversity into its opening cast with a fervor not really seen in live service games. Since then, more LGBTQIA+ people have found a carve-out in the Apex Games to see themselves in. Loba, Valkyrie, Fuse, Seer, and Catalyst have only expanded the confirmed cast of gender and sexually diverse representation in the battle royale. Fan theories take that much further. As far as relationships go though, Fusehound is the big one on the Outlands. First it was the animated clip in October 2022, the two fighting arm in arm before embracing for a kiss. Then it was the anniversary gift in Season 18 — a guitar for Fuse with the initials “WF That second series of teasers culminating in the heirloom sent Apex Legends fans wild. Solidifying the relationship between the explosive pansexual Aussie and the enigmatic non-binary tracker was a huge win for diversity in gaming. And for Fuse’s voice actor Ben Prendergast, it was quite the news to keep close to his chest. “Obviously the whole social sphere was like ‘What’s his heirloom going to be,’” he told Dexerto as hype built for Fuse’s heirloom. “Would it be his old arm? Knuckle dusters? A flail? The Bowie Knife? “When they called me in and were like ‘Okay we’re going to do the voice lines’, I was like ‘But you’re going to show me what it is first, right?’ They had some concept art — it wasn’t what came out — but it was a guitar that looks like his acoustic guitar, this guitar that’s more of an axe, and more.” The lines were a hit from the moment Prendergast saw them. It was “super fun and super Fuse.” However, the reaction online still took him by surprise. “We were at some Mexican Day of the Dead festival, sitting there with my family, and my phone went nuts,” he laughed. “I was like ‘holy sh*t did someone die? Did I miss a session?’ “I think they always knew it was going to be the first official couple, so to come back to the heirloom and know that Houndy had given Fusey that heirloom, and to have them mark the weapon with the [love heart], that was lovely.” Representations of LGBT relationships in the media often bring dissenting voices. Homophobia and transphobia in gaming spaces is still an issue. Prendergast takes a very pragmatic approach to it though. He knows the importance of seeing yourself in a character. A flourishing relationship between Fuse and Bloodhound, bringing pansexual and non-binary people joy, isn’t taking anything away from anyone. But the more communities who can find a corner to occupy in gaming, the more inclusive the community becomes. “This is a game that has some longevity, and is quite an aggressive game when you really look at it,” he explained. “Rather than preaching to the converted and saying ‘this is fair, this is how it should be,’ I really applaud Respawn going head-on into ‘okay let’s change some minds here. Let’s be a bit more liberal with how we treat sexual politics.’ Especially in gaming where there are toxic elements that need to have a whack across the face. “You really see it when someone who is maybe edging into the toxic area online, crosses the line somewhere, and then the fanbase comes down on them and they apologize or they rethink their position, and I think it’s super healthy. “I see people talking about ‘don’t shove this down our throats’ and I’m like ‘well it’s not being shoved down your throat.’ If you open your eyes and you weren’t in your own echo chamber, you’d see this happening across the world. “They’re like ‘don’t come for my game’ and I’m like ‘mate. Did you not see Season 1? Where all this lore was coming from?’ So I think it’s super important that it’s represented in this way, and I’m super proud to be a part of it.” Bloodhound voice actor Allegra Clark has echoed this sentiment online since the release of Apex Legends. At release time, their pronouns came into question. That permeates discourse to this day, even as Apex nears its fifth anniversary. It’s a funny thing for Prendergast to look back on. As this relationship has blossomed in game, it’s rubbed off on the voice actors out of game in their friendship. “The original cartoon [in 2022] was the first time Allegra [Clark] and I recorded together,” he said. “Being able to be in the booth, working off each other, went back to some theatre stuff for me — being able to respond truthfully to each other. That’s why it impacted people a bit differently. “Allegra and I have this offscreen friendship that’s deeper now because we’re literally a couple [in game].” The diversity in game also has an impact on player behavior. Prendergast noted the gender diversity in Apex’s streaming scene was much stronger compared to other games. Beyond that, professional Apex players have long been outspoken on issues surrounding misogyny in gaming and trans rights. Fusehound’s relationship isn’t stopping here. Prendergast hopes for more opportunities to share their wonderful spark in game. Given the live service nature of Apex, all it takes is one call from Respawn back in the booth to share new tidbits of lore. And he’ll be waiting for that call to bring the avuncular Aussie to life, with Houndy in tow.

  • Fuse heirloom idea is perfect accessory for Apex Legends’ explosive hero – Dexerto

Fuse heirloom idea is perfect accessory for Apex Legends’ explosive hero Respawn/EAApex Legends players have come up with an Heirloom concept for Fuse that would perfectly fit his backstory and isn’t completely outrageous like some others. While there are plenty of cosmetics to collect in Apex Legends, there are none more sought after than Heirlooms. These melee weapons are given to one character per season and are incredibly hard to get your hands on – unless you’ve got the time and money to rip open a whole load of packs or have some spare Heirloom shards laying around. The Heirloom designs usually play into a character’s backstory, adding to their already deep lore, which makes them fascinating to some creative players who want to chip in with their own suggestions. Well, even though he may have slipped down the tier lists, there are fans who want to see Fuse get an Heirloom sooner rather than later, and Redditor RosieAndSquishy might just have the perfect idea. Using the golden grenade that played a huge role in Fuse’s Stories from the Outland video, the Apex fan has devised a set of brass – well, rather gold – knuckles known as the ‘Knuckle Buster.’ Which, yes, is a play on his Knuckle Cluster ability. The concept fits Fuse in a whole host of ways and picked up plenty of support from other players too. “Love it. This fits him perfectly,” said one. “I genuinely love this,” added another. Though, of course, other fans have different suggestions – ranging from a broken beer bottle, a Crocodile Dundee-like knife, and even using his blown-off arm – which would be incredibly gruesome. As good as the concepts are, Respawn have stated previously that they can’t really use fan ideas straight up and they’d have to add their own spin. But who knows, maybe they’ve already been cooking something like this up.

  • Fuse gets big ability buff in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy – Dexerto

Fuse gets big ability buff in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Fuse, added in Season 8, has been pretty underwhelming so far ability-wise. Thankfully, Respawn have added a healthy buff to one of his abilities in Season 9. Fuse is all about explosives and fire, but it’s fair to say his entrance into the Apex Games wasn’t as explosive as his personality. We got hands-on with the Season 9 update thanks to Respawn, and were happy to see that Fuse’s Tactical ability has been given a meaningful buff. To check out the other buffs and nerfs we know about so far, check out our hub here. Fuse Tactical buff Fuse’s tactical, the Knuckle Cluster, now has two charges rather than just one – but that’s not all. The cooldown has been reduced from 25 seconds to only 18 seconds. So, after using one Knuckle Cluster charge, you’ll only need to wait 18 seconds for it to be off cooldown. The damage is unchanged, but, the fact you can now fire two at an enemy in quick succession, it’s effectively double the damage too. From our testing, there were no changes to Fuse’s ultimate, with the same 120-second cooldown (which is pretty short already compared to most damage-causing ultimates) and the same damage. But, we could only test against dummies in the firing range, so we’ll have to see the full patch notes to get the full changes to Fuse’s kit, and other Legends. We expect patch notes for Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy to release a bit earlier than previous seasons, a few days before the Season itself starts. Apex Legends Season 9 will launch on May 4. The update will introduce new Legend Valkyrie, the Bocek Bow weapon, a new-look Olympus, and more.

  • Funny Apex Legends map perfectly sums up the game’s current state – Dexerto

Funny Apex Legends map perfectly sums up the game’s current state The Apex Legends map is now a very familiar sight for millions of players, so much so that they can now pinpoint exactly what each location will entail in any given match. The map, or ‘arena’, is known as King’s Canyon and plays host to the Apex games, where the legends battle it out to become champions. It is based in the Titanfall universe, in an area called the Outlands, and is home to a number of different biomes, with desert, rivers, lush green areas and industrial sites. It’s a varied and expansive map. However, the Apex Legends map is also fairly compact. At least, in comparison to other battle royale games. With the ease of movement and zip lines that send you flying across large distances, the whole arena becomes pretty familiar, pretty quick. Regular players will already have their preferred landing spots picked out and the areas they almost never venture too, but if you’ve not made your mind up yet, then this brilliant fan-made map might perfectly describe each area for you. Shared by u/skaymonkey on the official Apex Legends Reddit, the map provides more tongue-in-cheek, but perhaps more accurate, descriptions of each named location. Some especially accurate ones are the ‘fight over the purple armor’ in Thunderdome, the panic that the ‘green stuff’ at water treatment is deadly, or the ‘let’s have a long game’ by landing at Relay. For new players, there’s actually some good advice in this map too, such as how quiet Swamps can be, despite it’s good loot potential. Will Apex Legends add a new map? With all that being said, there’s a growing desire among fans for a new map, or perhaps some changes/additions to the current one. There were leaks of a potential night time version of the current arena, but these are yet to come to fruition. The developers have, unsurprisingly, remained tight-lipped on the potential of a new map, or map changes, but surely they have some plans in the works.

  • Funny Apex Legends easter egg found in Hyper Scape – Dexerto

Funny Apex Legends easter egg found in Hyper Scape Ubisoft / Respawn EntertainmentHawk-eyed Hyper Scape players have discovered a funny Apex Legends easter egg in Ubisoft’s latest entry to the battle royale genre, Hyperscape. Hyperscape released on July 12, 2020, capitalizing on the booming battle royale market since the likes of Fortnite, Apex and Warzone took over the gaming world. While it may not have yet reached the dizzying heights of the aforementioned games, players are still having a lot of fun with its unique take on the genre, notable for its integration with Twitch that allows viewers to affect the outcome of a match. Hyper Scape and Apex are somewhat similar in their futuristic gameplay and action, and although most players have picked a side by this point, Ubisoft has left a little message in the game to Apex players and a nod to their competition over at Respawn. If you’re an Apex Legends player, you’ll know the incredibly frustrating call of “Mozambique here,” the game trolling you as it tries to convince you to take the Mozambique shotgun. Obviously, the Mozambique is one of the least popular weapons in the game. It’s not very powerful and is just about the last weapon you want to have to carry after you land — and it looks like that’s something the Hyper Scape developers are well aware of. While traversing Hyper Scape’s Neo Arcadia map, Redditor imBrettValentine found a little note perched on a desk with just two words written on it: “Mozambique here!” Obviously, there is no Mozambique shotgun in Hyper Scape, so is clearly a nod to its competitor — and is a pretty funny one at that. For players who have made Hyper Scape their main game, this might have triggered some unwanted flashbacks, but it does raise the question of whether there are even more undiscovered easter eggs in the game.

  • All leaked and teased content coming to Apex Legends in Season 1: Wild Frontier – Dexerto

All leaked and teased content coming to Apex Legends in Season 1: Wild Frontier Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment teased the future arrival of some incredible new content for Apex Legends before Season 1 got underway. There’s a lot of interesting items and features to look forward to, so let’s take a look at the entire list of things you can soon expect to see in Kings Canyon. Apex Legends Wild Frontier launched on March 19, promising plenty of new content for players of the popular battle royale title. Fans who have purchased the season pass have already unlocked a plethora of new skins, alongside a new character – Octane. However, the demand for more content is ever-growing and some eager fans have wasted little time in hyping up some of the unreleased features already. One fan, Reddit user FrozenFroh, has put together a full list of the different types of content that have been teased to be a part of Season 1 – ranging from weapons and an additional Legend to play with, to changes to the current map by restoring some damaged locations. In FrozenFroh’s snazzy graphic, evidence has been presented from a number of different pre-Season 1 announcements from Respawn. One of the main teases, the much-anticipated L-Star weapon, has still yet to be added to the game – even though stats for the gun were leaked back in early February. FrozenFroh also points out that fans have seen images of a re-constructed Thunderdome area – in what could signal the first major map change in the future. There’s also the question of a new Legend. Wattson has been teased for some time, popping up in leaks shortly after information Octane began being released. The character, who looks set to be centered around electrical abilities, is seemingly the next Legend to be added to the game – although, it’s still up in the air as to when it’ll be released. It remains to be seen if Respawn adds any of this batch of content any time soon, or if they have plans to introduce all of it towards the end of Season 1 in a bid to build hype for Season 2. Wild Frontier might have just begun, but details about Season 2, which has been rumored to begin around June 5, have already surfaced. As with any leak or unofficial reveal of game information, there’s a chance that plans could change and it’s quite possible that Respawn showed off some of these teases, including the interestingly rebuilt Thunderdome, and scrapped their plans for one reason or another. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Full list of Apex Legends leaks from the February 19 update – Hoverbike, new movement, Solo mode, new map? Apex Legends’ second major update officially went live on Tuesday, February 19, and data miners have already began to search through the files in hopes of finding some unreleased clues towards the future of the game. While the February 19 patch introduced some important fixes to the game, as Respawn Entertainment attempt to stamp out some bugs that have been causing the game to crash, they also quietly added a number of secret items that may give us a taste of what is to come in Apex Legends. With many new leaks dropping, take a look at everything that has been found in the game. New wallrunning and double-jump game mode spotted in files One of the biggest Apex Legends leaks to come out of the February 19 update is the news that some of Titanfall’s movement mechanics could be making their way to the game. Spotted in the files were a brand new mode that includes wallrunning and the use of JumpKits, which have both been featured in Titanfall games in the past. Players could be able to play solo matches Apex Legends have long been calling on Respawn to add a Solos mode to the game, and early leaks suggest they may just get one – but probably not in the way they expected. The mode, titled ‘Recruit’, we see players gain new members of their team by knocking and then respaning an opponent, leading to a team-based faceoff at the end of the match. Read More: Apex Legends: What every gold item does – Titans could be on their way Another gameplay element from Titanfall was found in the game files, as lines of code referencing Titans were discovered in the update. Titans are giant mech-suits that players jump in and control, providing them with an incredibly powerful weapons system to help them take down enemies. More information about Hoverbikes Word that a new vehicle called the Hoverbike had been found in the files of the game originally broke last week, but thanks to new information from the February 19 update, we now know a little bit more about it. While there seems to be some work left to do on the item, leaks confirmed that the Hoverbike will hold three passengers. New map? This new map isn’t necassarily an entirely new location for battle royale to be played on, but there is one game file which describes the map ‘box’, instead of the standard King’s Canyon. While all other game files use the code “mp_rr_canyonlands”, this code uses “mp_rr_box” instead. LEAK: A new map has also been discovered. It’s called a Box. For Survival Mode I guess.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #ApexLegendsleaks pic.twitter.com/XPPnwSuMFv — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) February 19, 2019 While that’s all of the major leaks available at the moment, we’ll be sure to keep updating this post if any new information becomes available.

  • Apex Legends world records for most kills: Trios, Solo, Solo vs Trios – Dexerto

Apex Legends world records for most kills: Trios, Solo, Solo vs Trios The World Record for most kills in Apex Legends is a prestigious honor, and players have been battling since day one to have the number one spot. Here are the full list of verified world records for solo, duos, solo vs trios, and trios. Immediately after release in February 2019, some of the world’s most talented players got to work trying to set a new world record for most eliminations in Apex Legends. You may notice that most of these record were set either in 2019 or 2020. Since the game was released, the landscape of Apex Legends has drastically changed. The skill of the average player has increased tremendously and being able to have a record-breaking game has become less frequent as time progresses. Rules for Apex Legends World records It’s important to know that there are some rules that must be followed for a world record to count. First, we require video evidence for all records – images of the scoreboard are not enough. Second, any record that has been completed on very low-level smurf accounts to play against easier opponents is not counted. Any videos that do not show the levels of the players will also not be counted. Any records set in LTM or event modes also do not count. If two teams/players hold the same record, whoever got the record first holds it. Apex Legends Trio world record On PC, the record for most kills in trios was set Fyzu, Wrugb and DesertUK with 46 kills, on March 28, 2019. On console, the trios record stands at 45 kills, only one less than PC, and is held by Gaitor_423, Pensatas, ImCadillackin. Apex Legends Solo vs Trio world record Before solos was a proper game mode, the only way to set a solo record was playing against trios. On PC, pro player and streamer Mendo set the record with a whopping 36 kills on his own. On console, the record was set by Japanese player Asapan, with 35 kills on PS4. Apex Legends Solo world record With solos not a permanent game mode in Apex Legends, we could see these records beaten in the future. But for now, the records stand from when it was only an LTM. The current record holder is streamer and YouTuber iiTzTimmy, who racked up 24 kills back in August 2019. Ranked world records Of course, there’s also ranked play, where the records are even more difficult to achieve given the harder matchmaking. For Ranked Trios, the record was set by HusKers, SweetDreams and Dropped in the Predator division with a whopping 43 kills. And for ranked Solo vs Trio, TH3GOLDENBOY set the record with 26 kills in Gold division. Apex Legends World Records (Updated Sepember 3, 2021) PC Console (PS4/Xbox One) Think you can do better? Submit your world record attempt to us @TitanfallBlog, with supporting evidence and we will review your submission! Last updated Friday, September 3 at 3:56pm EST.

  • Frustrating Revenant bug completely breaks his Ultimate in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Frustrating Revenant bug completely breaks his Ultimate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA major bug with Revenant’s Ultimate is making his Death Totem completely useless in Apex Legends Season 14. Since arriving on the roster all the way back in Season 4, Revenant has never been a massively popular pick in Apex Legends. Aside from the infamous Revtane combination that completely took over competitive play back in June of 2021, the Synthetic Nightmare has never gained a foothold in the meta since. Despite this, a group of dedicated mains within the community make up his 2.4% pick rate in Season 14, and they’re certainly fans of his aggressive playstyle. Of course, Revenant’s Ultimate is absolutely essential to his kit, so a new bug making it completely useless is causing a lot of issues in Hunted. Major Revenant bug makes his Ultimate completely useless As showcased by Reddit user KilledByKill, a frustrating glitch is breaking Revenant’s Ultimate and there are suspicions that the latest arrival in the Outlands is to blame. After activating their Ultimate, KilledByKill used the Death Totem and ran into the line of fire, looking to take down an enemy before being teleported back behind cover. Unfortunately, the Death Totem didn’t work, and KilledByKill was downed with the protection active. The cause of the bug was a complete mystery until eagle-eyed Reddit users pointed out that Vantage may be the culprit. KilledByKill is shot by Vantage’s sniper seconds before going down, and users believe the debuff may have triggered an unintended interaction with Rev’s Ultimate. While it’s possible the Sniper Savant is to blame, this is all speculation at the moment and we’ll have to see if one of the devs decides to shed some light on the issue. Either way, this is a serious Revenant glitch and completely compromises his kit, so Respawn we’ll need to address this as soon as possible. Not only that, KilledByKill lost 55RP in Ranked due to this bug, so it’s already leading to a lot of frustration from players.

  • Frustrating Bloodhound bug is completely breaking Ultimate in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Frustrating Bloodhound bug is completely breaking Ultimate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA new bug is completely breaking Bloodhound’s reworked Ultimate in Apex Legends, causing the White Raven to disappear underground. Season 16 of Apex Legends has arrived and the community is getting stuck into all of the fresh content. From the powerful Nemesis AR to the round-based TDM mode, it’s safe to say Respawn has knocked it out of the park with Revelry. Despite these exciting additions, it’s the buffs, nerfs, and Legend reworks that have had the biggest impact on the meta. Bloodhound is one of the characters who received a set of major changes, including an overhaul to their Ultimate. Now, the Technological Tracker deploys a White Raven to lead them to the nearest enemy, but unfortunately, a frustrating bug is completely breaking the ability. Bloodhound Ultimate glitch makes the ability useless During a recent stream, FaZe’s Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona was testing out Bloodhound and their new abilities that revolve around the White Ravens. Activating the Ultimate, Snip3down ordered the raven to “take me to the enemy”, but after flying around and pausing multiple times, the bird disappeared underground. Standing in the spot where it vanished, the pro realized that the ability effectively did nothing and gathered no information. Announcing “that’s Bloodhound for ya”, it’s obvious Snip3down isn’t impressed with the reworked Beast of the Hunt. ImperialHal also got his hands on Bloodhound and wasn’t pleased that the Technological Tracker can only scan “one time” in their entire Ultimate duration. For now, it’s clear pros aren’t convinced Bloodhound is going to take over the meta, especially with a bug that’s rendering one of their abilities useless. Respawn will need to address this issue soon, or Bloodhound’s pick rate is guaranteed to take a dramatic fall.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends shield swap bug leaves players vulnerable – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends shield swap bug leaves players vulnerable Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are getting left defenseless from an apparent glitch when trying to quickly swap out Body Armors – and it’s starting to cause some headaches on World’s Edge. The Grand Soiree event is in full swing with the occasion bringing in tons of skins, new LTMs, as well as buffs that has some characters shining for the first time in a long while, but the Apex experience is still lacking in some regards. Players are coming across bugs throughout their matches in the Apex Games, some of which have the potential to influence their run at a Champions screen should it affect them. That happened to be the case for Reddit user ‘JEFFTRIB’ who was having a spot of trouble switching out his tattered Body Armor in a desperate situation. The player and his team were in a heated battle against another squad, and after knocking down an enemy Mirage, JEFFTRIB was on the lookout for fresh armor to continue the fight. But on two occasions, the player tried to swap out to a Common Body Shield but noticed that the gear wouldn’t stick. “I’ve seen a lot of posts on the respawn/revive bugs, but what about the shield swap one?” they said. “Am I the only one who gets this a lot?” Some players were saying that it looks as if the player simply “double tapped armor swap and went back to blue by accident,” which would make a ton of sense in the heat of battle. But more members of the Apex community chimed in with their accounts for the same bug cropping up in their matches. “Happened to me last night,” user ‘mason_sol’ said. “Running for my life, keep getting little hits, try to swap out for a fresh blue, looks like it did but then doesn’t? Same as your video, fortunately I lived and found cells.” It seems like a few members have come across the glitch themselves, and are also hoping for a fix from the devs soon. Respawn Entertainment has been picking up the pace on the turn-around for fixing these issues like they did with the revive issues in the game, so it might not be long before the devs look into this one.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends looting bug is ruining Ranked matches – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends looting bug is ruining Ranked matches Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been encountering a new bug that is preventing them from finishing matches in ranked mode and costing them Ranked Points. After calls upon calls for a ranked mode from fans, Respawn Entertainment introduced the additional mode back in season two – giving fans the chance to pit their skills against some of the best players around. As the game has been updated and the new seasons have been introduced, the ranked mode has evolved – adding splits and even the return of Kings Canyon in Season 4. However, a new problem has begun rearing its head that is preventing players from finishing their matches and costing them some valuable Ranked Points. Reddit user Bayareavuln shed some light on the issue with a video from a recent game of theirs showing what exactly is the matter. As the Redditor attempted to grab a medkit from a supply bin, they found themselves unable to do so despite multiple attempts. After a few seconds, their game crashed and an error message appeared on screen before the players were sent back to the pre-game lobby. Once there, the post-match summary appeared and showed that they’d suffered a loss of Ranked Points for exiting early, though it was no fault of their own. Bayareavuln hasn’t been alone in suffering the issues though, as other Redditors noted that they’d fallen victim to it. “Happened to me 5 times this season, always late game too,” commented thecroman. Another, fas_ierai, added: “This happened to me. Last squad in a 200 point game I was beyond pissed and instantly closed the application.” With players in the thread calling on Respawn to get a fix in place for the new error, they’ll be hoping that it is addressed sooner rather than later. Though the developers have been active on the subreddit in the past, they haven’t responded to the post in question so it remains to be seen as to whether or not they are aware of it.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends’ Loba exploit is gifting free Winter Express wins – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends’ Loba exploit is gifting free Winter Express wins RespawnAn Apex Legends exploit with Loba is giving players free wins in the beloved Winter Express game mode. Returning for its second time, the fan-favorite Winter Express LTM – which was first introduced in 2019 – has given Apex Legends players another way to enjoy the battle royale over the holiday season. The objective of the popular round-based LTM is for the two squads to fight for control of the Winter Express train, which travels around the World’s Edge map. However, players are furious over a new Loba exploit that is practically giving out free wins in the game mode. In a Reddit post on December 25, Apex Legends player sleepy0_oboii shared a video of their opponent using an exploit while playing the Winter Express mode. The video posted showed Loba glitched into a crate on the Winter Express train. With the objective being taking full control of the train, the exploit made it impossible to do so which would lead to continuous overtime. “This is dumb as f**k,” said sleepy0_oboii. “This Loba is literally stacking wins from this glitch.” Other players chimed in on the thread with their own experiences of this exploit. “Had a Loba do this the other day to me,” said aresheild. “We held the train so nobody got a point until they got sick of it and came out and then we won. Don’t let those losers who take advantage of an exploit win.” Some players pointed out that other Loba’s should be able to use their abilities to glitch into the crate and kill those manipulating the bug, but it seems somewhat counter-intuitive and annoying. With the devs closed for the holidays, and with a backlog of bizarre bugs to patch, unfortunately, we likely won’t see a fix for the exploit anytime soon. For now, Loba players will continue to collect their free wins.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends glitch is making Loba’s Ultimate useless – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends glitch is making Loba’s Ultimate useless Respawn EntertainmentWhile Season 5’s Loba might be the new kid on the block in Apex Legends, she’s dropped into battle with a critical issue that could render her Ultimate useless in your next game. Loba is the latest addition to the ever-expanding Apex Legends lineup, having joined the roster on May 12. After a few short weeks with the Support-type character, players have uncovered a glaring issue with her Ultimate ability. Upon deploying her ‘Black Market Boutique,’ players should be able to access nearby loot and teleport it to themselves. While the ability usually limits you to just two items, a new glitch is making sure you walk away empty-handed. Down to the final three squads in a May 28 game, Reddit user ‘Loch_Ness_Lemons’ was closing in on a win. With Loba’s Ultimate already open for business and the high ground secured, it seemed as though it was their match to lose. Unfortunately, the game was working against them. The Black Market Boutique appeared to be in a glitched state, with absolutely nothing appearing. Not even a bit ammunition to let you keep up the fight. They closed and reopened the menu, however, the black market inventory still remained empty. As though not a single piece of loot was in the surrounding area, the team was left with no choice but to fend for themselves. As the ring closed in and squads appeared below, they clutched up and found a few extra eliminations. It wasn’t for another minute before Loba’s Ultimate started functioning again and loot was up for grabs. Loba’s team was eventually able to close out the game with a win, though the glitch could have easily cost them. Had they no shields or ammo, high ground control would have only helped them survive for so long. There’s no pinning down the exact cause of the issue. It could be completely random and affect Loba players without reason. Until an official response is provided from the developers, or a patch is rolled out, Loba may just have to make do without her Ultimate from time to time.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends glitch makes Octane jump endlessly – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends glitch makes Octane jump endlessly Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre Apex Legends glitch sees Octane glitch through walls and objects as he tries to jump, leaving players exposed and easy to kill. Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale titles in the world, and while the game is approaching it’s one-year anniversary, there are still a number of bugs which are affecting players searching for victory on World’s End. One such issue is causing problems for anyone who plays as the adrenaline junky Octane, who finds themselves glitching through walls and objects when they try to jump using the character’s bionic legs. In a clip uploaded to the Apex Legends subreddit on Thursday, December 26, /u/Cantstopmhe showed off a bizarre moment he suffered while playing as Octane, walking through a building while jumping. As he jumped, his character started glitching through the roof, bouncing around as if trapped by an invisible wall, glitching through the roof seemingly at random and leaving him unable to move properly even when he escaped the confines of the building. Unsurprisingly, this left the player in a difficult spot, and they quickly found themselves eliminated from the match, unable to defend themselves as they took damage while their head rattled off the top of the train. Some commenters joked that this was a new buff for Octance that makes him able to penetrate solid objects, while others admitted it was a bizarre situation, seemingly unable to offer a rational explanation as to what they had just seen. Respawn Entertainment, who develops the game, has yet to respond the glitch, but those who main Octane will be hoping that they address it sooner rather than later, as it can leave you in a very difficult spot, unable to aim your weapon, as Cantstopmhe found out. In the mean time, it’s probably not a good idea to activate Octane’s jump while inside a building with a low roof, or else you may end up in a similar situation yourself.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends chat glitch is ruining matches – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends chat glitch is ruining matches Respawn EntertainmentA new glitch has been discovered on the console version of Apex Legends, causing the game to crash when players use the text-to-speech chat option. Apex Legends has recently seen a ton of changes, with the all-new System Override event bringing in Legend changes, fresh loot, and a whole load of bug fixes. However, despite overall improvements to the game, Apex is plagued with yet another bug. Usually, the bugs quite small and don’t really affect gameplay, but this time the glitch is literally ending players’ games. Fans have discovered that using the text-to-speech option in the chat can crash the game, both for the user and their teammates. This was reported by multiple Reddit users on March 12 and seems to only affect the console version. A user named policht was one of the first to bring up the issue, citing that the game has crashed both when he and his teammates used text-to-speech. Others soon confirmed that this was also happening to them, with all the complaints coming from console players. There is some variance with the bug as some users have noted that a player will occasionally not crash, but it is still a huge issue as it abruptly ends games and stops a common way of communication. Currently, no one has figured out a fix for the glitch, meaning that it’s probably best to avoid using the feature and warning other players against using it as well. However, there’s no doubt that Respawn are already aware of the problem and working on a solution, which will hopefully come soon.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends bug prevents players from looting death boxes – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends bug prevents players from looting death boxes Reddit / ‘u/imnotnicolass’A bizarre new bug has appeared in Apex Legends that apparently prevents players from grabbing anything out of death boxes, and the community isn’t happy about the game-breaking glitch. Apex Legends Season 8 released on February 2, and introduced the 30-30 Repeater rifle, an Obliterated Kings Canyon map update, and the game’s newest Legend: Walter Fitzroy, more commonly known as Fuse. Despite bringing a slew of new content to the battle royale, Respawn’s latest content drop also added several new bugs, ranging from more common Legend ability issues to a serious glitch that wiped out entire accounts-worth of player unlocks. Reports of the game’s latest bug started to appear on the Apex Legends subreddit on February 19, and quickly spread like wildfire. Players from all platforms shared that they are unable to loot death boxes: a bug that has some truly game-breaking potential. The game’s subreddit has been flooded with reports of the bug across PC and consoles, in both the ranked and casual playlists. “Nobody can loot from death boxes and everyone on my teams that I’ve talked to have that same problem,” one user reported. In addition to written reports of the issue, many players shared video evidence as well. In one user’s post, they attempted to loot several attachments for their R-99 SMG, but the items either briefly disappeared and then went straight back to the death box, or simply never moved at all. Apex Legends content creator Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore shared a clip of his own encounter with the bug during a Predator Ranked match — potentially the worst possible time for this issue to pop up. In the clip, he tried looting an enemy death box then realized that none of the items were actually picked up. “Is the server crashing?” he asked, then exclaimed, “I can’t loot the body!” “It’s just disappearing, the loot is disappearing when you loot it,” PVPX continued. When his teammate and fellow pro Haris ‘Hodsic’ Hodzic tried to loot the death box, he ran into the same issue and confirmed “I can’t even loot it [either].” Any game — especially complex battle royales like Apex — are bound to have their fair share of bugs, but picking up items from defeated enemies is a core part of any BR experience, and being unable to do so can quite literally break the gameplay loop entirely. Read More: Apex Legends voice actors for all characters – While players have reported issues with looting from death boxes, ground loot appears to be unaffected by this particular glitch, so players can still equip themselves with items found outside of death boxes (although this limitation still severely impacts the flow of the game). The death box looting bug is not listed on the official Apex Legends Trello board at the time of writing, but with such a serious bug affecting so many players it’s only a matter of time before Respawn identifies the issue and pushes out a fix to stop the problem from occurring.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends bug makes Rampart’s abilities completely useless – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends bug makes Rampart’s abilities completely useless Respawn/EAA number of Apex Legends have been growing upset with Rampart’s inability to place her Amped Walls as it’s taking away her last real use in the battle royale. Rampart was added to the Apex Legends party at the start of Season 6 and right off the bat, players had some mixed reactions. Her Sheila ultimate – a mounted turret – concerned players because it was quite unlike anything Respawn had added to Apex. However, some quickly found fun uses for her Amped Cover and began scaling buildings like Revenant. As time has gone on, the character has received a few tweaks but ranks as the legend with the second-lowest win percentage in Apex currently. While players want more changes, they’re still currently dealing with a few issues. The biggest of these issues, currently, revolves around her Amped Walls and players having an inability to put them down in certain spots. The problem crops up mainly on Olympus where, as players go into the tunnels by the Phaserunner teleport, they can’t put the tunnels down anywhere but near the stairs. Some have argued that this is intentional given the size, and the fact that Respawn probably doesn’t want campers lukring under there. However, others have noted that the walls can be placed in tighter spaces. “You can place walls no problem in the vents next to turbine under the waterfall… and there’s so much more room in the tunnels,” said Reddit user Francosteiny. Additionally, there have been complaints about the walls also not placing ontop of roofs on the Olympus map, as well as also being bugged around Worlds Edge spots like Repusoor as well. “The last thing rampart needs is for her walls to not work!” joked one Redditor. As of writing, Respawn hasn’t said anything, either way, to confirm if this is an intended thing or if it is a bug that’s been popping up but players want clarity either way – as well as changes to the character – as it continues to frustrate them and limit her usage.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends bug isn’t letting players exit respawn ships – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends bug isn’t letting players exit respawn ships Respawn EntertainmentA frustrating new bug is getting in Apex Legends players’ way when they’re trying to exit the respawn dropship and rejoin their team, trapping them with no escape instead. Usually, when your teammates recover your banner and take it to a beacon, you should be good to go as soon as you drop in (unless an enemy team is waiting to ambush you). That’s what makes this latest bug so strange and frustrating at the same time, since there’s no way for a player to avoid getting stuck while respawning, with how legends automatically run out of the ship. The above clip of the glitch was posted to Reddit by user MrGuille, and based on the series of very unfortunate events it contains, it does seem like the game has a vendetta against this player in particular. As MrGuille prepares to drop in with Caustic, against all odds, the King’s Canyon loot ship descends at the exact same time, getting in the way of the opening where you drop in from. Instead of falling down and joining their team, Caustic gets trapped inside the model of the ship, and is unable to escape despite jumping, sliding, and climbing around. Despite being trapped, there doesn’t seem to be anything that would kill or eliminate the player, until the ring eventually closes in on them or you decide to call it quits. Unfortunately, MrGuille didn’t test whether or not it was possible to send Caustic’s traps outside of the area. If you were stuck there, at least it would be entertaining to drop gas on top of unsuspecting enemies. The good news is that whether or not Respawn devs are aware of the bug, it’s a pretty easy one to avoid. All you have to do is tell your teammate to avoid incoming ships when they’re trying to bring you back. But it would be entertaining to test and see whether or not you can actually turn the Supply Ships into a Caustic-powered chemical warfare bomber before it’s hopefully patched out.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends bug is causing Mirage’s decoys to disappear – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends bug is causing Mirage’s decoys to disappear Respawn EntertainmentAn unusual bug that causes Mirage’s decoys to disappear when dropping into the map has been leaving many Apex Legends players frustrated. The Holographic Trickster has been a niche pick for players since the launch of Apex Legends and has struggled to remain in the meta over some of the other Legends, such as Pathfinder or Wraith. Although it was revealed that Respawn has scheduled some major upgrades for Mirage, another bug has recently been found with the character that gives players even less of a chance to outplay their opponents. A glitch has been found which affects Mirage’s ‘Psyche Out’ tactical ability which can spawn clones of the character that can be used to confuse players in a gunfight. The unique character’s kit has many uses for his clones and Mirage mains can also activate the decoys when dropping into the map, to potentially mask their landing spot against any nearby enemies. However, players have found a frustrating bug that prevents Mirage’s decoys from spawning or simply vanishing while mid-air and have now called on Respawn to issue a fix. “I’ve had it happen multiple times now where I am unable to use decoys while dropping from the drop shi,.” u/KID_a26 explained, revealing that the clones would spawn late or sometimes not appear at all. Many players responded in agreement, pointing out instances where it had also happened to them in-game and called for the feature to be more consistent. Although the clones are unlikely to change the course of a game, it can allow players an extra few seconds in certain instances – particularly when dropping in – to prepare for a fight. Mirage is due to receive some major buffs in a future patch, however, fans will have to wait a little longer to see what exactly the Apex Legends devs have planned for the Holographic Trickster.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends bug causes Grenades & Arc Stars to disappear – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends bug causes Grenades & Arc Stars to disappear Respawn EntertainmentA frustrating Apex Legends bug is preventing players from easily using Frag Grenades and Thermites, as well as Arc Stars – and now the community is requesting a fix from the devs. The glitch stops the equipment from showing up on the HUD. It isn’t purely visual either, since pushing ‘G,’ the default shortcut to equip a grenade, fails to equip the utility. In the heat of battle, players rely on their muscle memory in relation to their keys to properly navigate through a fight and a bug like this throws a wrench in the machine if a person comes across it. “This is a bug where when you pick up a grenade (and Arc Star/Thermite),” Reddit user ‘lolipop69696969’ explained. “It doesn’t show up and pressing G won’t bring up either, the only way is to use the grenade list. Please fix it Devs.” Their clip shows them as Wattson in the Firing Range running about the various items on the floor. After looting a pack of SMG rounds, they pick up the Arc Star located just beside it. Only thing is that when Wattson picked the electric utility, it didn’t appear in its designed slot on the bottom of the screen. After noticing that it wouldn’t equip, the player opened up their inventory to manually equip the Arc Star but to no avail. It wasn’t until they had to bring up the Grenade wheel that they could scroll through the types and finally equip the Arc Star to their character. There are more pressing issues with Apex, such as its netcode and other bugs, that demand the attention of the devs. But it is proving to be problematic for people who aren’t expecting their grenades to be disabled. “Man this has happened to me too,” user ‘lktae’ said. “I’m on the PS4 and I just thought it was me.” Lolipop’s video was taken on the PC version and it seems like console players can come across the bug as well. If more players start reporting similar problems, then it could be something that Respawn looks to patch up as soon as possible.

  • Frustrating Apex Legends gunfight shows how bad internet can help players – Dexerto

Frustrating Apex Legends gunfight shows how bad internet can help players Respawn EntertainmentExperienced Apex Legends players use every tool at their disposal to get the upper hand against their opponents, but sometimes getting countered with bad internet can be extremely effective. Respawn Entertainment introduced Apex Legends to players on February 4. Since then fans have been loving the fast-paced fights, the effect that different Legends have on a battle, and a lot more. There are various elements to consider when trying to win out in a gunfight, but when coming face-to-face with a player who is massively lagging, some players are left defenseless to stuttering character models. Lagging Apex Legends players need a nerf In a Reddit post, user ‘OwenOnReddit’ demonstrated a huge flaw in the game that essentially “punished” them for having a steady connection to the Apex Legends servers. “Good ping, 0 packet loss on my end,” the user wrote. “Why am I being punished for my enemies playing on toaster WiFi?” Playing as an Octane in the long corridors of Bunker, the user can be seen retreating to heal up after taking a huge shot. Moments later, an opposing Octane barged into the room looking to finish off the player. Terrible lag could actually give some players a better chance to win in fights. Standing behind the doorway, the foe seemed to have overlooked the hiding player. As OwenOnReddit was lining up a clean shot with the Peacekeeper, the opponent instantly transports away from the crosshairs. The bizarre moment shows the lagging player completely untouched from what should have been a point-blank shot. Then they were able to catch OwenOnReddit completely off-guard, leading to a frustrating elimination. Other players who watched the clip were equally tilted from the moment. Apex Legends doesn’t have the best netcode, and its caused a lot of problems for its players. But the video convinced a lot of people that there needs to be a worthwhile fix implemented to stop the problem. “I wish more devs would implement high ping kicks in their games instead of thinking these players should be allowed to ruin the experience for everyone else,” one user wrote. These unfortunate moments have been seen in the past, which is leaving some players holding their breaths for a problem to the solution.

  • Fresh Apex Legends leaks reveal Storm Point changes for Season 13 – Dexerto

Fresh Apex Legends leaks reveal Storm Point changes for Season 13 Respawn/EAStorm Point looks to be getting some pretty big changes in Apex Legends Season 13, with leaks suggesting that players will be able to call upon the Spectres from Titanfall as allies. Apex Legends Season 12 has helped breathe some new life into Respawn’s popular battle royale, with the addition of Mad Maggie and the new Control LTM. Though, there are plenty of players looking forward to what’s next. Season 13, which has yet to be given a name, is likely to launch in the second week of May – with May 10 currently the date that everybody has their eye on. Of course, the massive new update will bring a new legend – possibly Newcastle or Vantage – and quite possibly a new weapon as well. On top of that, it looks like some familiar faces from Titanfall will also be descending onto Storm Point. Apex Legends dataminers Shrugtal and SomeoneWhoLeaks both pointed out that the Command Center POI and other screens across Storm Point have got teaser images on them relating to the IMC. If you’ve not seen them, the images show a gun rack, an armory, the IMC logo, and supply bins – which are likely the new Smart Supply Bins that will give you loot relating to your loadout at the time. According to Shrugtal, the screens are teasing the arrival of Spectres as controllable allies in Season 13. “Likely going to be a POI feature where you can interact with some control panel to gain them as temporary allies, likely as the “draw” for that new area,” the leaker said. Likely going to be a POI feature where you can interact with some control panel to gain them as temporary allies, likely as the “”draw”” for that new area. Will get out some videos on these topics once I’m feeling better, not 100% yet. — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) April 1, 2022 On top of that, if you’ve managed to spot the Leviathans that are now hanging off the coast of Storm Point, they will likely also have a roll to play in the map changes. SomeoneWhoLeaks showed that there are Leviathan Bones in the game’s files, likely relating to some sort of battle where the pair end up scattered on the map. Season 13 Teaser: Leviathan Bones Looks like those two on Storm Point aren’t gonna last much longer… pic.twitter.com/4Kl4LHM657 — SWL (@SomeoneWhoLeaks) March 30, 2022 Both leakers have proven to be reliable before, and there’s little reason to doubt them here, but Respawn always has the final call on major changes. We’ll just have to wait and see when exactly these start to roll out, and if they’ll be permanent changes for the new season or just a part of the teasers.

  • Fresh Apex Legends leak claims Season 9 won’t have any new weapons – Dexerto

Fresh Apex Legends leak claims Season 9 won’t have any new weapons Respawn/EAA fresh Apex Legends leak has claimed that there are no new weapons coming in Season 9, and instead, we might get the Titanfall EPG in Season 10. The start of the new Apex Legends season brings plenty of fresh content for players to sink their teeth into. There is always a new legend added, changes to the current crop, as well as other changes. New weapons have also been a staple of the new season updates, aside from Season 5 and Season 7, and we’ve seen plenty of leaks about guns that Respawn has in testing. For a few seasons now, the Compound Bow and EPG from Titanfall have been speculated on by fans, and after further leaks about them being tested, many believed Season 9 would finally see their arrivals. However, that might not be the case. According to reliable leaker Biast12, Season 9 should buck the usual trend of adding a new weapon at the start and there won’t be anything new. As noted, recent testing leaks revealed that both the Compound Bow and EPG were being tried out by the developers, however, Biast claims that the EPG is penciled in for Season 10. Though, that could change as well. “We shouldn’t get any weapon in S9,” the leaker tweeted on April 16. “Tho S10’s weapon is planned to be the EPG, tho it can easily get swished (switched) with the Bow, it’s just planned/locked like that.” We shouldn’t get any weapon in S9 tho S10’s weapon is planned to be the EPG tho it can easily get swished with the Bow, it’s just planned/locked like that — Biast12 (@Biast12) April 16, 2021 What’s interesting about the claim is that it’s not just the Bow and EPG that are in development. Recently, a new LMG known as ‘Dragon’ was also revealed to be in the works. So it’s not like Respawn is hamstrung for new weapons. They could just be foregoing a weapon because something pretty big is also coming, just like in Season 7 when we got a new map and vehicles added. However, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in early May once the new season rolls around.

  • Freaky Apex Legends bug is making Crypto randomly lie down in matches – Dexerto

Freaky Apex Legends bug is making Crypto randomly lie down in matches Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been left dumbfounded after witnessing a bizarre malfunction with Crypto. The character is currently suffering a problem that causes his model to bounce around before suddenly lying down flat. Whether it’s because of his incredibly low pick rate in Apex Legends, or because he just fancies being different, Crypto is currently a menace. The character is known for being tricky and informative with his useful recon gadgets, but it seems like he’s acting out at present. The Season 3 addition has been caught behaving rather irrationally during several games of Apex Legends, making him very hard to hit due to a bizarre glitch. Apex Legends Crypto chaos Yes, of all of the game’s Legends, Crypto is not one that immediately springs to most players’ minds. He’s not necessarily a bad selection, it’s just that other picks either offer more during a game or have since usurped him. Read More: Apex Legends update 1.89 patch notes – Either way, he seems to be lashing out in protest as several users have recorded the recon savant staking a claim to be picked more often. His new ability seems to be a passive twitch that causes him to jet around haphazardly and immediately lie flat. UHHHH??? HAHAHA PLS FIX @PlayApex @Respawn pic.twitter.com/rY7BFzbj5U — inqo (@_inqo) February 23, 2022 As you can see, whatever is causing this issue is making Crypto unpredictable and very hard to hit. It’s not just his general movement, but animations whilst using weapons too. But as we’ve said, it’s not a one-off occurrence either. In addition to Twitter user EXO inqo’s example above, CodyC23 also found that Crypto was doing these things during games too. WHAT IS THIS?????????????????!!!!!?? @Codddy_ @RSPN_Hideouts @PlayApex pic.twitter.com/c8Uq7mkqW8 — CodyC23 (@CodyC23_) February 22, 2022 Despite being a master of information on the battlefield, his newfound athletic process is currently making Crypto an unbelievable threat in Apex Legends. Obviously, this is an unruly glitch that is presumably a new addition to the game via a recent update. We expect Respawn Entertainment will be on the case sharpish to fix it and put an end to Crypto’s tantrums once and for all.

This four-year-old Apex Legends player means business Apex Legends is a game that has a lot going on. There are so many things a player has to learn to succeed, and there’s more to it than just being a better shot than your opponent. This four-year-old Apex Legends player who’s playing Crypto, one of the more complex Legends in the game, was able to properly utilize his game knowledge and bring his team the win. Austin, the four-year-old in the clip, isn’t just a crack shot. He’s also playing around doors, managing his inventory, and even shield swapping to give himself the best chance at winning. The post was made by Austin’s father, and he’s coaching his child on how to win more games. He can be heard in the background as well, giving his son some key tips and intel on where the enemy is. What’s more, this four-year-old is winning in style. He didn’t just win the round, he dropped the emote to flex on his opponents. And, on top of that, both of his teammates were out of the fight throughout this clip. A Reddit comment from user FoxyNixon sums up the feelings of many about Austin’s play best, “Imagine getting off a 12-hour shift to play Apex with the homies just to get steamrolled by a 4-year-old.” Austin is still too young to participate in any tournaments, but, if his father’s comments are anything to go off of, Austin’s headed in the right direction to be a serious competitor.

  • Four creative ways to utilize Lifeline’s ultimate in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Four creative ways to utilize Lifeline’s ultimate in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been finding incredible and unique ways of tailoring a character’s ability kit to fit their playstyle, leading one fan to come up with creative new methods of using Lifeline’s Ultimate. Though Lifeline is already considered a top-tier Legend in many respects, it seems as though some players have been underutilizing her Care Package, especially in the late-game. It’s because of this that Reddit user ‘Korvax_of_Myrmidon’ decided to drop some knowledge with inventive ways for getting the most out of the Combat Medic’s Ultimate ability. “I saw someone comment about how Lifeline’s ULT is ‘useless late-game,’ Korvax said. “…There are a couple of uses for her ULT that you should be aware of. They may be situational, but in the ring you want to squeeze out every possible advantage you can, they might just make the difference and get you that W.” Cover Korvax noted that Lifeline’s ult also has an astonishing ability to create a durable object that can be used as cover in case a player finds themself in a tricky situation. “[The Care Package] is sturdy,” they said. “It blocks gunfire, and line of sight. If you get stuck with bad positioning… good pod placement can give you a little breathing room to heal and reload.” Mobility Even though Legends like Pathfinder and Octane have ults that directly impact a teams ability to advance through King’s Canyon, Lifeline’s Care Package can provide a sturdy climbable object to reposition in a tight bind. “You can use it to gain access to a few places that normally only a squad with Pathfinder or Octane could get too,” Korvax said. “Or, use it as a shortcut and bypass the need to climb stairs or crates, which normally leaves you vulnerable. You can really catch people off guard with this.” Trapping Similarly the pod can be used as a barricade of sorts. Korvax suggests that with a bit of planning, Lifeline’s ult actually be used to funnel players to their doom. Read more: Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge announced for TwitchCon Europe – schedule, qualifiers, players, and more – “The pod can block people from entering or exiting small doorways. You can use this to trap people in buildings. You can also use it to keep people out if you are holed up in the endgame, funneling them into a nice kill pocket.” Psychological Warfare Finally, if in the late-game and the whole squad is completely looted up, then dropping a Care Package could go a long way to messing with an enemy squad’s head. “Other squads can see and hear the pod come down, and if you don’t open it right away, it shoots a very visible blue beam into the sky,” Korvax said. “Now, it’s hard to know exactly how other squads will react… A lot of players are blindly aggressive and will beeline for it hoping to get some kills. Other squads are more cautious and will avoid it… either way, you are distracting them, forcing them to react, and throwing them off their plan. The moment of hesitation could open a chance to 3rd party an engagement between squads that wanted to take a closer look at the Care Package, or provide precious time to retreat. Although simple, these different approaches to Lifeline’s ult can have varying degrees of use that adds multiple layers of strategy to her otherwise straightforward ability.

  • Four best weapon loadouts to use in Apex Legends following v1.1.1 patch – Dexerto

Four best weapon loadouts to use in Apex Legends following v1.1.1 patch With the recent v1.1.1 update having changed how some weapons work in Apex Legends, one player has come up with the best loadouts to use now in the game. The April 16 v1.1.1 patch in Apex Legends introduced a lot of buffs and nerfs to a variety of weapons, including some of the guns that were considered to be in the highest tier. The weapon tuning saw buffs implemented for all of the sniper rifles, especially the Longbow DMR, and the Havoc energy rifle, while the Wingman and Spitfire were both nerfed. With this in mind, Apex YouTube QuakeV put together a video listing his best four loadouts to use after the balancing patch, explaining why he’s chosen certain weapon combinations over others. Keep in mind, of course, that these loadouts are the best in the opinion of QuakeV, and some readers may not agree and will prefer to use other weapons and combinations. Four best weapon loadouts in Apex Legends 1. Longbow DMR and R-99 – With all of the boosts that the Longbow received in the v1.1.1 patch, it became one of the strongest weapons in the game. Pairing it with the R-99, which some consider to be the absolute best gun, makes this loadout incredibly potent. 2. Peacekeeper and R-301 – While it didn’t receive any buffs or nerfs, the Peacekeeper is still one of the best guns in the game. It’s devastating close range power combined with the R-301’s ability to shoot well at medium to even long range can make for a powerful weapon duo. 3. Havok (with Turbocharger) and Peacekeeper – The Havok was turned into a much better weapon following the patch, becoming surprisingly viable and potent, when used with a Turbocharger of course. Similar to the previous combo, having that kind of weapon paired with the Peacekeeper can prove to be a very dependable loadout. 4. R-99 and R-301 – Neither weapon in this loadout was touched by the last update, which is exactly why both are still top-tier guns in the game. Having the luxury of shredding at close range with the R-99 and being able to pick off players medium to longer range with the R-301 results in a vey strong loadout, especially for aggressive run-and-gun style players. Why no Wingman or Spitfire? Noticeably absent from the list of top four loadouts were the Wingman and Spitfire, two weapons that were considered to be the best before the v1.1.1 update. In the video, the YouTube explained that the nerfs implemented for both guns made them drastically less viable than they were pre-patch, especially the Wingman, which is why they simply aren’t good enough to be use in top-tier loadouts. That being said, they are certainly still potent weapons, and players should definitely not shy away from using them in the early, middle, and even late stages of a match.

  • Former EA employee responds to Apex Legends ‘No Apex August’ boycott plans – Dexerto

Former EA employee responds to Apex Legends ‘No Apex August’ boycott plans Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are trying to organize a boycott of the popular battle royale, leading to a former EA employee responding to players’ concerns. Apex Legends has its fair share of game-breaking bugs and exploits problems like many other games. However, the community on Reddit has had enough and is looking to organize a day to “strike” from the game. While there are doubts that a boycott could even come to fruition, some are even proposing “No Apex August”, hoping that a significant decrease in the game’s active player count is enough to prompt change. However, a former EA employee has spoken out and shut down dreams that Respawn will ultimately fix the game and take things seriously. In a Reddit thread posted on July 6, Apex Legends player Reza_SL proposed that the community partake in a boycott called “No Apex August.” Unfortunately, many believe the idea is too optimistic and simply wouldn’t even make a dint when compared to the rest of the player base. “This is all never going to happen and I guarantee Respawn and EA won’t even notice,” said one. “Maybe I’m missing something. It’s a free-to-play game. Why not just stop buying from the apex shop,” another fan suggested. Furthermore, the community’s hope was then shut down, as a former EA employee shared their thoughts. “I know players are frustrated with the bugs and everything. I just wanna say something as a former QA tester that used to work at EA. “Respawn is the developer, EA is the publisher. Devs always has to listen to publisher no matter what, because they pay the devs their salary,” said the former EA employee. “Dev teams are almost always gamers themselves, they are probably as frustrated as we are when it comes to the state of the game. “Publishers are always a bunch of old businessmen, they don’t play games, they don’t care about the game, it’s profit that they care about,” the QA tester added. “Frustrated developers often always quit their jobs if they feel that they are not able to convince the publisher otherwise. At this point, I think it is almost impossible to make EA care about the state of the games unless there is a change in leadership.” The comment from the former QA tester certainly gave a lot of context to what happens behind the scenes in game development. “What you said is much easier to understand. Thank you. It is always the guys with the money who have control,” replied one fan. Sadly, for now, we can only pray that the developers fix the persistent issues before the start of Season 14 in early August.

Former Apex pro HisWattson reveals heartwarming message from father after retirement Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSApex Legends pro Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin announced his retirement on July 16. He revealed a personal message from his father after he learned of HisWattson’s decision. HisWattson has been considered one of the top Apex Legends players since he first broke out into the pro scene. After dominating Ranked play, he won MVP at the ALGS World Championship 2022. But, after three years of competition at the highest level in Apex, HisWattson announced his retirement from pro play on July 16. He explained in his announcement that he had fallen out of love with competing professionally and decided to focus on content creation instead. “I tried everything possible to make myself enjoy playing comp, but even when we were winning, I still wasn’t having fun,” he said. HisWattson’s father sends special message A day later, on his flight home from playing in the ALGS Split 2 Playoff tournament in London, HisWattson received a heartwarming text from his father about his retirement. “Just heard the news,” the text said. “I didn’t really think you were happy playing comp. Makes me proud to see you do what makes you happy instead what other people expect you to do. I love you son. You’re my hero.” HisWattson said in the caption that he always tells people that his father and grandfather are his heroes, and seeing his dad say it to him “just brought me to tears.” The post has over 5,000 likes at the time of writing and has seen the Apex community respond with tears of their own. “I’m in the airport with a tear going down my cheek reading that sh*t,” Pioneers pro Casper ‘Gnaske’ Præstensgaard said in a reply. Even the Apex Legends Esports account responded, with an emotional gif. While the former Apex pro is done with competition, he will still represent FURIA and play the game as a streamer for the foreseeable future.

  • Former Apex Legends star Dizzy explains why he quit the battle royale – Dexerto

Former Apex Legends star Dizzy explains why he quit the battle royale Respawn EntertainmentCoby ‘Dizzy’ Meadows was once a top the Apex Legends competitive scene, but now, he has opened up on what drove him to quit the game and take a lengthy hiatus. If you tuned into the Apex Legends scene on its rise in the battle royale genre, there’s every chance you’ve seen a clip or two from Dizzy. He quickly became one of the most-followed personalities in the community due his extraordinary movement and sharp aim. However, his run at the top of the title quickly came to an abrupt halt in December 2019. With a newfound focus on streaming over pro play, this career shift soon saw the 20-year old step away from the internet altogether. After months of radio silence, dizzy is now back to streaming on a more casual basis, though Apex Legends isn’t his main title anymore. In his first time playing the game on stream for Lulu’s Throwdown event, dizzy explained what drove him to quit the title. Why Dizzy quit Apex Legends When asked why he stepped away from Apex Legends, dizzy had a simple answer for his viewers on Twitch: “I just stopped enjoying it.” “Sitting in a queue, landing, looting, you get sh*t loot, bad RNG, you die, you’re back in the queue waiting again. It’s very repetitive,” he outlined. “I feel like it’s easy to burnout on,” he said. “Especially if you’re streaming 8+ hours a day.” Dizzy still rates Apex Legends as the “best BR” This process remains similar throughout the entire battle royale genre. Therefore, Dizzy made it clear that’s where his issues lied, not with anything specific in Apex Legends. “This game’s not bad, this game’s good. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best BR game to play, but it’s just exhausting.” While he’s back playing it on stream for this one-off event, there’s no telling if it might reignite his passion for Apex. • Forge confirmed for Apex Legends Season 4: leaked abilities and more – Dexerto

Forge confirmed for Apex Legends Season 4: leaked abilities and more Respawn EntertainmentThe first official reveal of Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation confirmed that the new Legend will be none other than Forge, and we’ve got everything there is to know about the Augmented Brawler. Respawn Entertainment sent the Apex Legends community into a frenzy of excitement on January 23, giving players their first look at the upcoming Season 4. As was the case with the first three seasons, this next chapter will introduce a new Legend into the game, Forge, which was one of two likely candidates along with Revenant. Forge is a brawny humanoid character who received some cybernetic enhancements to his body, giving his already-menacing figure an extra layer of threat. Read More: Everything to know from Season 4 reveal – In the announcement, Respawn had this to say about him: “confident yet humble, Forge uses his size, strength, and heavy-duty Shatter Gauntlets to batter his opponents into submission.” Forge’s abilities for Apex Legends Season 4 Unfortunately, in their announcement, Respawn stopped short of revealing what abilities Forge will feature. However, over the past couple of months, dataminers have found and leaked the abilities from back-end game files. There are six leaked abilities in total, two each for Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate. However, it’s unlikely that the character will have all six, since every other Legend only has three. Instead, the developers probably just chose three out of the list. There’s also a good chance that his actual abilities have something to do with the “Shatter Gauntlets” Respawn mentioned in the announcement. FORGE’S LEAKED TACTICAL ABILITIES Pull Shot (Hook): Short-range grapple that pulls enemies into you or can be used to launch yourself into the air. – Ground Slam: Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below. – FORGE’S LEAKED ULTIMATE ABILITIES K.O. Punch (High Jump): Jump forward in a direction. Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below. – One-Two (One-Two Punch): Bullrush in a straight line. If you hit an enemy along the way, press again to do an upper-cut launching you into the air. – FORGE’S LEAKED PASSIVE ABILITIES On The Ropes: Enhances your melee to do more damage the lower your health is. Dealing melee damage gives you temporary overshield. – Victory Rush: Killing a player with a melee attack restores your health and gives you a 30% speed boost for 10 seconds. – Forge’s lore and backstory As most know, Respawn puts a lot of emphasis on providing a thorough backstory and lore for each Legend, adding depth and complexity to the whole Apex Legends experience. While Forge’s lore hasn’t been fully unveiled yet, the devs did reveal that the new Legend is known to be a five-time Hyperfighting Federation champion who is now sponsored by Hammond Robotics, a fictional corporation that originated in Respawn’s Titanfall series. (Forge segment begins at 11:05 mark for mobile users) “Big personality, he’s conquered the MMA world and now he wants to conquer another world with the Apex Games,” said Tom Casiello, game writer. “Also, the first Legend we’re introducing that’s corporate-sponsored and his sponsor is Hammond Robotics. Are they good? Are they bad? You’ll have to play and find out.” It looks like Hammond Robotics will play some sort of role in Season 4, so players should definitely keep an eye out for that as the story develops.

  • FOR7 lose Apex Legends Global Series match due to game-breaking glitch – Dexerto

FOR7 lose Apex Legends Global Series match due to game-breaking glitch Respawn EntertainmentPro Apex Legends Esports team FOR7 suffered a game-breaking glitch during the Apex Legends Global Series Year 2 Championship knocking the team out of the match. The Apex Legends Global Series, commonly called ALGS, Year 2 Championship 2022 began on July 7, with 40 teams competing for a massive $2 million prize pool. During the early elimination stages of the tournament, the Japanese/Korean Esports team, FOR7, encountered an unfortunate bug that cost them the tournament. Players Han ‘SangJoon’ Sang-jun and Yoon ‘heegak’ Hee-jong used Valkyrie’s Ultimate to reposition, resulting in a glitch that ended in SangJoon’s in-game elimination. FOR7 lose ALGS 2022 thanks to glitch The glitch occurred when heegak used Valkyrie’s “Skyward Dive” Ultimate Ability with SangJoon in tow. The ability started as expected, with the duo flying high into the sky ready to jetpack towards their intended location. However, after entering free-fall, SangJoon teleported to a seemingly random point on the map which was deep into the storm. Confused, SangJoon began calling out to his teammate, wondering what had just happened. By the time he realized what actually happened, the storm downed him with no hope of heegak being able to revive him. To make matters worse, the team was already down a player, as their third member Shin ‘Jusna’ Yong-ju tested positive for COVID which prevented him from entering the event. The clip of the glitch quickly went viral on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit, with players speculating what exactly happened. Reddit user ‘Fawfs2‘ claimed that “The game for whatever reason teleported him to what I believe is (0, 0, 0) on the map,” which at the time happened to be deep into the storm. Plenty of commenters expressed frustration at the situation, with many saying that EA should compensate the team in some way considering the glitch that effectively ended their tournament was completely out of their control. Unfortunately, as of right now it seems that EA hasn’t made any official announcement or acknowledgment regarding FOR7’s situation.

  • Fnatic overhauling Apex Legends roster for 2024 season – Dexerto

Fnatic overhauling Apex Legends roster for 2024 season Joe Brady/ ALGSFnatic have announced major changes to its Apex Legends lineup for next season following an overall great year from its team. Fnatic announced major changes to its Apex Legends roster following the team’s 26th-place finish at the 2023 ALGS Championship. The Japanese side placed first across both splits of the 2023 APAC North Pro League and finished in the top 10 at both Split 1 and Split 2 playoff LAN tournaments, but failed to lift a major trophy this season. On September 25, Fnatic revealed that it has benched Takamasa ‘Meltstera’ Kawai, Yuto ‘UmichanLoveti’ Narita, and coach Hiroki ‘Kamaneko’ Kimoto while the organization looks for their replacements. The players and coach are still under contract with Fnatic, however, they are able to look for opportunities with other teams. “When one story ends, a new one begins. We have become even stronger, and we hope to see you in ALGS Year 4,” Fnatic said in the announcement via a machine translation. Fnatic is making major changes to its Apex Legends lineup Both Kamaneko and Meltstera joined Fnatic when the organization returned to Apex Legends in 2022. The European esports org initially hopped into the Battle Royale circuit in 2019 with two teams, one in Europe and one in North America. That project was shelved in 2020, almost one year to the day after it was started, and Fnatic eventually returned a few years later with a Japanese squad. That initial lineup, with Kamaneko and Melstera, managed to place fourth at the 2022 ALGS Championship and showed incredible promise. However, that team quickly fell apart as one of the founding members, Keita ‘MatsuTasu’ Matsuura, announced in early 2023 that he was open to playing for other teams. Fnatic loaned the player out and eventually dropped him from the team, and then brought in Yuto ‘UmichanLoveti’ Narita as his replacement. The Apex Legends off-season is currently in full swing so Fnatic have plenty of time and space to find new players and a head coach for its ALGS Year 4 campaign.

  • How to make Loba’s tactical actually work in Apex Legends with simple trick – Dexerto

How to make Loba’s tactical actually work in Apex Legends with simple trick Respawn EntertainmentLoba’s tactical in Apex Legends is once again causing players problems, often cancelling even in clear space. However, one eagle-eyed player has found a fix, and Respawn are looking at making it permanent. Loba’s tactical ability in Apex Legends, Burglar’s Best Friend, is broken to say the least. While it doesn’t work on the best of days, the Chaos Theory patch has rendered it practically useless. While the devs fixed a glitch where Loba could teleport into objects and get stuck, now they can’t really teleport anywhere. The Translocating Thief is doing a whole lot of the latter, but not the former. Previous fixes to all three of Apex’s maps helped Loba somewhat, but it’s like they’ve all been reverted on the newest update. The Legend’s tactical is arguably in the worst state it’s been. Players have called on Respawn to patch a hotfix in quickly, but one eagle-eyed player has already found a temporary solution. ‘SrvAlic’ says the secret to Loba’s tactical is to just jump at the end. Sure enough, Respawn tested it, and the Redditor was right. The results has left players relieved, and devs baffled. “Computers are fucking wild. I just tried this locally and… it seems to work? Like we’ve got some unshipped bugfixes that make [her] bracelet a lot better but they still fail in a few places where clearly it should work, and jumping seems to fix it,” lead gameplay designer Daniel Klein said. Read More: Apex Legends leaked skins for new events – Klein also stated the fix has been forwarded onwards, and perhaps SrvAlic’s suggestion could be the key to fixing Loba’s tactical permanently. How to use Loba’s tactical in Apex Legends For now though, you’ll have to do the work around. Here’s how to pull it off: Throw Loba’s bracelet in front of you. – Track the bracelet, and as it’s about to land, jump. – If you timed the jump right, you should teleport. – It’s only a small thing, but could make the difference between winning and losing a gunfight. Hopefully a proper fix is just around the corner, but for now, Loba mains can be happy with this compromise.

Five things we learned from latest Apex Legends Season 3 map trailer Respawn EntertainmentNow that Respawn Entertainment have released the official launch trailer for Season 3 of Apex Legends, it’s time to take a closer look at the details. Season 3 of Apex Legends, called Meltdown, is slated to kick off on October 1, introducing a brand new Legends, weapon, Battle Pass and more. On September 27, Respawn gave players something else to look forward to as well – a brand new map called World’s Edge, located on a different planet than the one that King’s Canyon inhabits. The map was introduced in a launch trailer for the new season, which predictably included some key details, cameo appearances, and clues about what players should expect. Read More: How to better use Knockdown Shields in Apex – That said, here are five things we learned from the latest video about what’s to come in the world of Apex Legends. Environment will play a role in World’s Edge Judging by the scenes shown of the new map, it appears likely that the terrain and environmental factors will have an effect on how the game will be played. The snowy blizzards billowing from the white-capped mountains, the fiery embers sparking out of the active volcano, the unmissable chemical plant frozen during an explosion, and all of the other terrains all figure to be involved. Read More: Night version of Apex map looks awesome – We saw some of that on King’s Canyon as well, especially during Season 2, with the Flyers and giant Leviathan creatures that were added to the map. Crypto’s abilities shown for the first time It’s pretty much old news now that the next Legends will be Crypto, but the three Abilities that he will have in-game remain largely unconfirmed speculation. However, the video gave a first true glimpse at some of his powers, such as what appeared to be the surveillance drones Respawn had already mentioned previously, as well as hand-held weapons that could be used for fighting. Charged Rifle looks powerful Respawn have already confirmed that the new weapon in Season 3 will be the Charged Rifle, which an “obliterating directed-energy weapon” according to the official description given. The weapon made a brief appearance in the trailer when Crypto pulled it out to take down Caustic, and it certainly looks like it has the potential to do a lot of damage. There’s a train! The final sequences of the trailer were spent on a cargo train travelling around the map at a very high speed, which looks to be a good way for players to be able to access opposite areas of the map without having to spend the whole time running. Those who may think that the vehicle was only part of the video’s cinematic should pay close attention to the image of the map above, which clearly contains some sort of railing circling the outside edge of the map. Geyser – a new way to get airborne Speaking of transportation, appears that there will be a new way to get airborne and traverse long distances on World’s Edge – geysers. During a brief sequence shown in the trailer, Octane can be seen jumping onto a large stream of water vapor coming out of the ground using it to propel himself into the air, yelling “Hydro Power!” Read More: Crossplay coming to Apex Legends? – While the addition of such a feature would likely be well received by most players, the questions remains as to whether the geysers would ultimately replace the Jump Towers that were ever-present on King’s Canyon. Players will be able to use Crypto’s abilities, fire the Charged Rifle, explore World’s Edge and more when Season 3: Meltdown releases on October 1 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • First teaser for new Apex Legends character possibly spotted in-game – Dexerto

First teaser for new Apex Legends character possibly spotted in-game Eagle-eyed Apex Legends players believe they may have found an early teaser for the next legend that will be added, fitting with Respawn Entertainment’s affinity for hidden easter eggs. Developers of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment, have been known in the past to leave players hints at upcoming content, often dropping teasers and allowing players to fill in the gaps. As the game’s third season flourishes, players believe they have potentially found a teaser for an upcoming legend – the identity of which is unknown. Leaks and rumors up to this point towards a total of 15 legends being worked on, including Nomad, Conduit, Revenant, Rosie and Forge. The game has seen Octane, Wattson and Cypto added at the inception of each new season, and there is no reason to believe Respawn will diverge from this method of dispensing DLC. Prior to the addition of each legend, there were numerous in-game teasers, the likes of which players think they’ve found another. One Reddit user posted a snippet of gameplay, showing the mini-map in the top left briefly cutting out, displaying the message: “RADAR JAMMED”. It flashes away as quickly as it came, however, leaving many to be confused as to what it could mean. The most obvious answer, of course, is the upcoming addition of a legend who will have the ability to block enemy radars. The feeling among Apex Legends players is that the ability belongs to a new legend, who is – in the game’s narrative – just entering the map’s vicinity and therefore impacting the existing legends. This happened as hacker Crypto was teased, with technology across the map faltering as Respawn pointed towards his introduction. No official confirmation regarding the game’s next legend has been released, leaving players to speculate over the few hints that are available. Rosie seems likely based off how long her name has been floating around in-game files, but the rumored ability to jam a radar leaves a lot in the air. The new legend found in the game files, Forge, could also possibly be coming in Season 4, although none of his leaked abilities explicitly state anything about jamming radars. Read More: How to “kidnap” enemies with Wraith – Despite the typically established formula of dropping one new legend per season, leaks have pointed towards ‘characters’ coming to Apex Legends, so there is a slim possibility we will see multiple added at once. It’s also possible that the jammed radar isn’t anything to do with a new legend, but instead a new item or piece of equipment set to be added to the game. While obviously unconfirmed, the leaks generate even more excitement among the Apex community as players speculate over the future of the beloved battle royale.

  • First new Apex Legends weapon ‘Havoc’ is officially live on all platforms – Dexerto

First new Apex Legends weapon ‘Havoc’ is officially live on all platforms Apex Legends has only been out for just over two weeks and the first new weapon is already here, as Respawn announced that the Havoc rifle went live on February 20. We’ve known that new weapons would soon be coming to Apex Legends as part of the first season that’s set to launch in March, but Respawn had previously been silent on when the first new weapon will be added to the game. That silence ended when footage and release date of the weapon was first announced on February 19 during the Apex Legends Twitch Rivals tournament. Get ready to cry havoc—a new gun is coming to King’s Canyon pic.twitter.com/w8LNa2GDWn — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 19, 2019 Respawn later gave more details on the weapon once it officially went live in Apex Legends on February 20. The Havoc will sport two firing modes – an automatic mode with 672 rounds per minute and a ‘Hitscan beam’ mode with 102 rounds per minute. It was also revealed that the Havoc will be compatible with the Selectfire Receiver and Turbocharger Hop-Ups. The fact that it will use the Turbocharger Hop-Up means it’s likely that the weapon will come stock in the automatic mode, which will require the Hop-Up to decrease the spin-up time. The Selectfire Receiver would take this one step further, removing the automatic fire completely and allow use of the single fire mode. Double the hop ups, double the fun! Here comes the Havoc: https://t.co/7pzKO4q7Ku pic.twitter.com/fFmJ3jASOX — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 20, 2019 Still no word on a buff for the poor Mozambique, though. As always, be sure to follow us @TitanFallBlog on Twitter for all things Apex Legends.

  • First look at Crypto gameplay in Apex Legends show all abilities in-game – Dexerto

First look at Crypto gameplay in Apex Legends show all abilities in-game Respawn EntertainmentThe brand new Legend Crypto is set to make his debut in Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown, and the character’s three abilities have already been revealed. Crypto is one of several aspects of Apex Legends Season 3 that players are excited about, and the new Legend could quickly see itself become a fan-favorite. He is neither an offensive or defensive force, and fits the bill as a support character, as his abilities do not offer any lethal attack or ability to defend from enemy firepower. Instead, the powers are very much invested in reconnaissance and the collection of information about the surrounding areas to track down any potential enemy presence. Read More: All 15 locations revealed on new Apex map – Now, thanks to EA inviting some content creators out to test Season 3 prior to launch, we now know the names of all three abilities and what each one exactly does. Crypto’s Tactical Ability – Surveillance Drone The Tactical Ability allows Crypto to deploy a drone that can collect information about the surrounding areas. The drone is remotely controlled, so when deployed, the Legend stands still while the player can fly the mini-robot pretty much anywhere. While controlling the drone, players can ping any enemies they see, and they will remain targeted as long as the its still in the air. The drawbacks to this ability are that opposing players will know when they’ve been pinged, and can shoot down the drone very easily, and finding it isn’t too hard, since it lets out a continuous humming sound when active. Crypto’s Passive Ability – Neurolink The Passive Ability is also tied in with the Surveillance Drone, as it allows the controlling player and all teammates to automatically see all enemies who are within a 30 meter radius of the drone when its in the air. The whole squad is able to see opposing players through barriers, as their outlines become highlighted whenever they’re within that distance of the drone. Crypto’s Ultimate Ability – Drone EMP Sticking with the theme, the new Legend’s most powerful ability also involves his drone, as he is able to use it to discharge a large EMP blast. Once the drone is activated, players can fly it to the area of their choosing, then activate an EMP charge that covers a pretty wide radius. Those hit with the blast will incur 50 point of damage to their Shield, see their movement slow down, and all traps will become disabled. You can check out full gameplay of Crypto, including the use of his three abilities, in the video below, courtesy of IGN. While very exciting just on its own, Crypto is not the only part of Season 3 that players have to look forward to, as Meltdown will also introduce a brand new weapon, Battle Pass, ranking system, and most importantly, the new ‘World’s Edge’ map. Season 3 goes live on October 1, 2019, and we will continue to bring you the latest information available.

  • First look at Crypto and charge rifle leaked ahead of Apex Legends Season 3 – Dexerto

First look at Crypto and charge rifle leaked ahead of Apex Legends Season 3 Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends leak on August 27 has apparently revealed Crypto, a new weapon for Season 3 and a new skin for Gibraltar that could tease an upcoming Halloween event. The leak apparently happened at the Game Stop Manager’s Conference on August 25, and the images were posted a few days later on August 27 to Reddit by user Teves3D. So far there’s no release date for any of the leaked content and nothing is known about the images, other than what they look like, but if we look closely we can start drawing some conclusions at least. First look at Crypto previous images of the character. There’s not too much information about the new Legend or his abilities in the image, but if you look by the “N”, there appears to be a small robot/drone that could be part of his kit. New Charge Rifle Weapon The new weapon is called the “Charge Rifle” and according to Teves3D, comes from the Titanfall games, like a lot of the Apex weapons do. We don’t know what the gun will be capable of, but it was used in Titanfall to take out Titans, and users on Reddit have compared it to the Spartan Laser from Halo 3. Gibraltar Halloween skin Finally, Gibraltar had a new skin revealed that appears to transform him into Frankenstein’s Monster and could be a teaser for a new Halloween event this year – although there’s nothing to confirm that, yet. We don’t know if there will be an Apex Legends Halloween event, or if Apex will just release special seasonal skins for the holiday, but we do know that this is already one of Gibraltar’s best skins in the game. Dexerto has reached out to Respawn regarding the leaks, but so far the publisher has yet to make any official statement on the images.

  • First look at Bloodhound’s Heirloom revealed in leaked Apex Legends trailer – Dexerto

First look at Bloodhound’s Heirloom revealed in leaked Apex Legends trailer RespawnA leaked trailer for Apex Legends‘ upcoming Iron Crown event has seemingly revealed the Heirloom item for Bloodhound. On August 6, Respawn Entertainment revealed that they would be launching another limited-time mode in Apex Legends called the Iron Crown Collection Event. In the days following, the developers showcased a number of new skin for Pathfinder, Bloodhound, and Wraith – and teased that more was to come. Yet, in the hours ahead of the event’s launch on August 13, an Nvidia Twitter account leaked the full pre-event trailer that displayed some brand new locations, further cosmetics, and revealed a double XP weekend. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that another cosmetic may have been displayed in plain sight too. Just slightly after the minute mark, and as the trailer comes to an end, Bloodhound is given a few close-up moments where the character is considering jumping off a rooftop and wiping out those Legends below. Read More: Apex Legends Iron Crown event patch notes – In their right-hand, a brand-new axe can see sporting an eagle-like scowl with red outlines. The trailer runs for a few more seconds before showing Bloodhound taking that leap of faith and seemingly being able to pummel those legends below as if it does some environmental damage with an area of destruction. Unlike other aspects of the trailer, the axe is not labeled as a new heirloom but considering the time given to it in such an important video, it seems almost certain that it is. If so, it would mark the second Heirloom set added to the game behind the initial set for Wraith. These Heirlooms are only available in Apex Packs and players have a less than 1% chance of being able to bag them with each pack opening. Of course, so you don’t lose all your cash searching for the ultra-rare cosmetic items, Respawn implemented a system that guarantees players will receive an Heirloom within one of their first 500 packs. Adding another into the game could certainly shake that system up, but it remains to be seen as to what the developers decide to do.

  • First look at what unreleased L-Star LMG will look like in Apex Legends – Dexerto

First look at what unreleased L-Star LMG will look like in Apex Legends The next suspected Apex Legends weapon to be added, the L-Star LMG, has had its first person in-game animations leaked by data miners. New L-Star LMG animations leaked Data miners have uncovered the latest animations for the L-Star LMG which is suspected to be the next weapon added to the popular battle royale giant, Apex Legends. The L-Star is yet another weapon that Respawn Entertainment is appearing to remaster from Titanfall 2 and adopt into Apex Legends. It was first teased that the L-Star would be added to Apex Legends when screenshots of a player holding the weapon were released as the in-game news screen on March 19. The latest news to be uncovered on the weapon by data miners was that the first person in-game animations had been revealed and shared on Reddit. The clip of the weapon’s animations also showed there to be multiple reload animations which would indicate that the L-Star in Apex Legends may have an overheating aspect similar to the version of the weapon in Titanfall 2. The data mined clip displayed all of the weapons animations such as ADS, reloading, inspecting as well as what appears to be a battery being replaced in the L-Star. There is no official release date for the L-Star as of yet but many fans expect it to make an appearance in game very shortly after being initially teased before the release of Apex Legends’ season one battle pass and many expecting it to be released then. As with any data mining leaks, it is still uncertain if these weapon animations will be exactly the same when they’re added to the popular battle royale title.

  • First look at secret bunkers found in Apex Legends under Kings Canyon – Dexerto

First look at secret bunkers found in Apex Legends under Kings Canyon Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have uncovered an early look at some of the underground bunkers that were added to Kings Canyon in Season 5. Spoiler Warning: If you don’t want to have the story of the Season 5 Quest spoiled, you may want to avoid reading on. While the entire Quest isn’t leaked, it may ruin some of your excitement about what’s to come. The launch of Season 5: Fortune’s Favor introduced a brand new PVE Quest into Apex Legends, where players will need to find nine pieces of a mysterious artifact to uncover more about the Broken Ghost. Along with these new missions, there have also been numerous underground bunkers added into Kings Canyon following the Season 5 update, which could potentially play a crucial part in this Season’s Quest. While only one of the bunkers is currently accessible to players, which can be found near the cliffs of the underwater Skulltown, the rest have remained locked with seemingly no way to gain access. However, some Apex Legends players have now managed to get an early look at what awaits inside some of the bunkers, by using Crypto’s drone to glitch through the new hatches which have been scattered at different POI across the map. One player u/xKnightress was among the first to get inside the Slum Lakes hatch, and they took the time remaining on the drone to have a quick look around the tunnels below. The underground bunker was much bigger than expected, and there was one room in particular that piqued the interest of many. There appears to be some sort of chamber towards the back of the bunker, with some suggesting that it may be where players will need to bring the Quest’s artifact once it has been completed. This is how the loot bunker looks like and no this one shouldn’t be for quest pic.twitter.com/ZTs4FKGfWM — Biast12 (Tobias) (@Biast12) May 21, 2020 Apex data miner Biast12 revealed another loot bunker and claimed that while this portion of the underground tunnels had not been made available yet, it was not likely to be used in the Season Quest. It still remains unclear when exactly these bunkers will be accessible in Season 5, although many Apex players. particularly Caustic mains, are eager for them to open.

  • First look at Revenant’s abilities revealed for Apex Legends Season 4 – Dexerto

First look at Revenant’s abilities revealed for Apex Legends Season 4 EAThe anticipation for Revenant is at an all-time high with the new Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation gameplay trailer giving fans a first look into the upcoming character’s abilities. Respawn’s launch trailer for Season 4 showed the upcoming assassin in action on the new tattered World’s Edge. The moment Revenant appeared on screen, the tone of the Hammond Robotics ad turned to a nightmare hellscape view that World’s Edge will transform into for the upcoming season. While there isn’t a confirmed list of the Legend’s abilities just yet, all three were put on display in the trailer, coinciding heavily with what had been previously leaked. In the trailer, Revenant can be seen throwing down an ominous-looking totem, most likely his Death Recall Ultimate Ability, which “protects anyone who uses it from death. Instead of getting killed or downed, you’ll return to the totem with 20 health,” according to leaks. After passing through the totem, a virus-like effect covers the edge of the screen – similar to the one people saw when playing as the Shadow faction from the Shadowfall LTM in the October 2019 Fight or Fright event. Immediately after throwing down his Ult, Revenant follows it up with his Tactical Ability – projectile emanating from the top of his left forearm. This definitely looks like it could be the Poison Bomb, a lethal object that inflicts damage and a slowing effect on anyone in the area. The final build-up to Revenant’s attack is his Passive Ability, called Infiltrator, which lets him “climb walls higher and crouch walk faster.” While we didn’t get to see the full climb, it seems like the nefarious Legend was easily making his way up the building’s side without nearby ledges to reset his climb. Players also got a glimpse of this ability in action when he scaled the side of a glass-lined building during last week’s launch trailer. So although Revenant’s abilities haven’t been technically announced or confirmed yet, it’s pretty evident that Respawn ended up sticking to what they had originally planned way back when the leaks about the Legend began to surface. Players will be able to try Revenant for themselves once Season 4 launches on Tuesday, February 4.

  • First look at Olympus map POIs in Apex Legends leaked – Dexerto

First look at Olympus map POIs in Apex Legends leaked Respawn EntertainmentWith Apex Legends Season 7 now under just over one week away, the first looks at the upcoming map Olympus have been revealed – some by Respawn themselves, but also due to leaks. On October 27, Apex Legends’ official Instagram account revealed the first look at Olympus via two new AR effects, which allowed users to get a 360-degree view of the area, both from a distance and internally. However, these were only intended as teasers, and revealed little more than the general shape of the city in the sky, and a look at the new Trident vehicle, which players can use for easy transport. But, also on October 27, the first leaks of the map also surfaced online, shared by reliable data miner Biast12. One of these leaked images actually gives us an overview of the whole map, and the POIs. Olympus map leaks Although far from the best quality images, these leaks show what appears to be the map in its entirety. They also revealed that Pathfinder will be getting the first ‘Town Takeover’ event in the new Season. It should be noted, that it’s not possible to see the scale of the map from these images alone – so any fears about the size of the map are likely premature. This first image shows all the new POIs, such as Gardens, Docks, Turbine and Oasis. Oasis is actually the zone that was visible in the Instagram effects. Olympus POIs Turbine – Orbital – Cannon Rift – Docks – Hammond Labs – Power Grid – Carrier – Oasis – Elysium – Hydroponics – Bonsai Plaza – Solar Array – Grow Towers – Gardens – Energy Depot – Estates – Other leaked images reveal a look at some of these POIs, but clearly not in all their glory, as they are rather fuzzy gameplay shots. We should see more of the map very soon, as the Season 7 launch trailer will go live on October 28, at 8AM PT. This should be our first look at Olympus officially (Instagram effects notwithstanding). Although there may be some concerns about the size of the map from these images, the Trident vehicle has been added because Olympus is apparently “a big place” – so we’ll just have to wait until we can play it ourselves. Season 7 of Apex Legends starts on November 4.

  • First look at Olympus map changes in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

First look at Olympus map changes in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn/EARespawn is bringing back Olympus for Apex Legends Season 12 with a first look at brand new map changes planned for the fan-favorite map. Olympus made its debut in Apex Legends Season 7 and quickly became a beloved locale among fans in the game. With Storm Point and World’s Edge occupying the map cycle in Season 11, many players began to wonder when Olympus would make a reappearance. Now, thanks to the Season 12 reveal, we have our first look at the Olympus and the first of many new changes happening across the map. Olympus map changes teased in new trailer On January 25, a new trailer for the Apex Legends Anniversary Event was posted on the official ‘PlayApex’ Instagram account. With it, players got their first taste of Olympus map updates in Season 12. Within the first few seconds of the trailer, it shows that the Olympus skybox has changed. Where there used to be nothing but clear-blue sky all around, buildings and cars can now be seen in the background peeking from the map’s boundaries. Considering the fact that Olympus is known as “the city in the sky,” the new changes suggest that the playing field has decreased in altitude revealing more of the planet below. This could potentially result in new playable areas in the form of skyscrapers and buildings on the outskirts of Olympus but that remains to be seen. Olympus map changes teased in Season 12 images In addition, Respawn also showed teasers of Olympus within a Season 12 promotional image. While this image doesn’t reveal any changes in detail, it does give players a general idea of what to expect. The image above shows a change to the direction of the Orbital Cannon. It also appears that something new is being constructed. Considering the layout of Olympus, it’s safe to say that these map changes will be taking place outside of Bonsai Plaza. It’s could be the second most prominent change to the Apex map, but we’ll have to wait and see what else Respawn have planned for Olympus in Season 12. • First look at Octane’s healing buff in Apex Legends Season 7 – Dexerto

First look at Octane’s healing buff in Apex Legends Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentOctane is getting what appears to be a huge healing buff in Apex Legends Season 7, meaning the first time mains of The Adrenaline Junkie jump into the new Olympus map they’re going to have a new-found advantage. The character returns to his home planet in the new update, Psamathe, where the new map will be based. Upon his return will be a significant difference to the way he operates, healing faster than he ever has done before. What this means is unclear in terms of shifts in the meta, but new footage of the Season 7 update in action shows things are looking up for the speedster. We can certainly expect more of that patented speed, too, as his quicker recovery time from stims will only tempt his mains to sprint even more. Apex Legends Season 7 buff for Octane explained On November 2, the embargo for early access content of Apex Legends Season 7 lifted – meaning creators and media outlets can finally show off new features. This might be classed as spoilers to some, but something to look forward to for others. In a YouTube post from WiloGTX, a number of things were discussed. Previously confirmed changes to the loot pool and POI walkthroughs, but most notably – possibly above all else – was the speed of Octane’s HP recovery. It has been doubled, according to the official patch notes, and Octane will now heal at 1.0 hp per second. Segment starts at 11 minutes below. https://youtu.be/vxqYMSNJO8c?t=660 New Octane buff explained The doubled recovery will make a huge difference not only to those using Octane, who will be protected much better after going down, but also make it more difficult for enemies to take him down. Just hiding for a moment mid-gunfight will allow Octane to recover pretty promptly. Not to mention how much faster his stim recovery will be, meaning you can run around just as fast as you could previously, though more often. Again, it’s unclear how this will impact the Apex Games and whether or not he will become part of the meta for legends picks. We’ll just have to wait and see. Season 7 comes out on November 4, so there’s not much time left to wait.

  • First look at new legend Horizon revealed in Apex Legends leaks – Dexerto

First look at new legend Horizon revealed in Apex Legends leaks Respawn/EAA major Apex Legends leak from the Aftermarket event has revealed the first look at Horizon, who could appear as soon as the end of Season 6. With each new Apex Legends season, Respawn adds a new legend to their roster of character – giving players a chance to experience someone new. The majority of these legends have been leaked at some point, with some leaks stretching all the way back to the first two seasons of the game. As Season 7 is on the horizon, it has been believed that Valk would be the next character, but that might not be the case, as a whole tonne of assets for Horizon – another leaked legend – have surfaced. Shortly after the Aftermarket Collection Event update went live on October 6, data miners were quickly able to get their hands on new info – with the biggest of which being about Horizon. Biast revealed three different videos with codenames relating to Horizon and challenges, each of which being progressively more teasing than the other. Though, in the final video, we finally get to see the new female character. The character speaks to the camera with a pen in her hands, and though there is no audio, it seems as if she is giving players instructions or hints about her set of challenges that could drop before the end of Season 6. challenges_char_03 // Horizon Challenges video 3 pic.twitter.com/DymGmQmPfw — Biast12 (@Biast12) October 6, 2020 On top of the videos, leakers were also to find a badge of the new legend that players will, presumably, be able to use once the challenges are complete. It’s nothing too fancy as there are no animations, crazy symbols, or glowing colors. The badge is simply Horizon’s legend icon on a cyan background with a small star underneath. While all signs might now point to Horizon being the new legend coming in Season 7, instead of Valk, no leaker has stated that yet, nor have her potential abilities surfaced. It could also be a Forge-like situation, where Respawn are using the character as bait before revealing someone else. But, that seems unlikely given she has more about her than Forge. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • First look at Gibraltar’s Heirloom revealed in Apex Legends leak – Dexerto

First look at Gibraltar’s Heirloom revealed in Apex Legends leak Respawn EntertainmentIt may have taken seven seasons, but it looks like Gibraltar is finally next in line for an Apex Legends Heirloom, if the latest leaks are to be believed. [jwplayer QJBhIFLZ] Heirloom weapons are ultra-rare cosmetic items for the lucky Legends that Respawn has chosen to produce so far. For players who prefer to main one character in particular, they are the end-all, be-all prestige item to let people know you’re not messing around. Gibraltar mains have been patiently waiting since release to see what his will actually look like, and thanks to Apex leaker Biast12, we might finally have our first chance to see what the gentle giant will be rocking. If you don’t want to spoil the weapon reveal when Respawn releases it officially in the future, consider this your official warning, as we’ll be showing pictures of the leaks below. Gibraltar’s leaked Apex Legends Heirloom Gibby’s Heirloom looks like a nasty little serrated hatchet, covered in paracord and with a green stone charm hanging off of it. There are two variations, one all grey, and one that’s the same color along with gold glowing highlights. The device does resemble the melee weapon we see from his finishing move, and considering the Shielded Fortress worked in search and rescue from his backstory, the aesthetic choices start to make sense. Gibraltar actually uses a traditional Māori club called a “patu” for his finisher, so developers certainly could have modeled his Heirloom after the design, or at least used as a starting point before incorporating other elements. It also seems to be the same weapon our favorite big man uses in the Season 7 quest, which is just another point in its favor for being a legit leak and not just a convincing render. and for people that don’t know yes this is the thing Gibraltar is using in the S7 quest pic.twitter.com/e0Sg2h74WE — Biast12 (Tobias) (@Biast12) November 3, 2020 A new Heirloom is released every Collection Event, but it remains to be seen exactly when this leaked will officially come out. Since the images are coming out now, we can predict fairly confidently that the item will arrive sometime during Season 7. Biast has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaks too, so it does seem like Gibraltar mains will finally get to play with the Heirloom-fueled confidence Wraith players have gotten to enjoy since day one.

  • Bangalore’s Heirloom revealed in Apex Legends for Chaos Theory event – Dexerto

Bangalore’s Heirloom revealed in Apex Legends for Chaos Theory event Respawn EntertainmentBangalore is the last of the original eight Apex Legends characters to get a heirloom, but it’s finally arriving in the Season 8 Chaos Theory event. The Chaos Theory event, which is due to kick off on March 9 and last two weeks, is bringing a number of major changes to Respawn’s hit battle royale title. The full patch notes were officially released on March 4, with a number of major Legend and weapon buffs and nerfs due to arrive in the game. For those looking to collect the most exclusive cosmetics though, the heirlooms are the most in-demand collectible items, and Bangalore mains are finally getting their wish. With several significant changes coming to the game, Apex could be about to become very different — but the collection event will be the perfect time to get grinding so you can unlock it. The Bangalore heirloom is a nifty little serrated Pilot’s knife that bends halfway up, looking as much like a multi-functional utility tool as a vicious weapon for the Professional Soldier. This has been a long-awaited addition to the game, with many fans holding out hope that their favorite character would finally get one of the elusive items to display, and leaks earlier in February 2021 finally gave them what they wanted. Thoughts, Bangalore mains? pic.twitter.com/C1y1y27mmK — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 4, 2021 How to get Bangalore’s heirloom in Apex Legends As with other heirlooms, you’ll have to collect all 24 event items during the Chaos Theory event, and as always these can be purchased using Apex Coins or Crafting Metals, as well as in Apex Event packs. After the event ends, the Bangalore Heirloom will become available via heirloom crafting — so if you want this, you might want to free up some time to start collecting those Crafting Metals and Event packs. Be sure to check out all of the biggest changes to the Legends and weapons coming to Apex on March 9, with the event set to cause chaos across the Outlands.

  • First look at Apex Legends’ upcoming Dummie’s Big Day mode – Dexerto

First look at Apex Legends’ upcoming Dummie’s Big Day mode Respawn Entertainment are gearing up for a fresh drop of content for the Grand Soirée Arcade event in Apex Legends and a brand new image of the upcoming Dummie’s Big Day game mode has been revealed. The free-to-play title’s latest event kicks off on January 14 and runs right the way through towards the end of the month, drawing to a close on January 28. Inside this bumper update will be a further six game modes, another batch of themed skins, and plenty more. However, those players that are very much interested to see what the Dummie’s Big Day mode brings will be delighted to know more images have been released for it just before it starts. Posting to Reddit on January 13, via the Apex Legends subreddit, user FrozenFroh revealed yet another glimpse of it and it’s fair to say that players are starting to get excited for what’s coming soon. They wrote: “Another picture of the DUMMIEs Big Day game mode, it only confuses me even more! What is it about?” And, that was quickly followed up by a response from a developer, RaymeCV, who remained tight-lipped on the matter. “It is so very, very stupid and I love it so much,” they posted along with a slot machine, briefcase, dance, and ambulance emojis. Before this image was released, all fans had to go off was the original event trailer that showed a brief glimpse of what’s to come from the update. Other modes include Third-Person, Gold Rush Duos, Armed and Dangerous: World’s Edge, Live.Die.Live, and Always Be Closing. “This game ain’t going to test itself,” was the official description for Dummie’s Big Day, though, which is so far the only hint we have about what it entails – with some fans speculating it might be the game’s first foray into adding literal bots the game, much like Fortnite has done in Chapter 2. Yet, we’ll have to wait and see. For more information about the event, including the trailer, check this out for everything you need to know about Apex Legends’ Grand Soirée Arcade event.

  • First look at Apex Legends Mobile exclusive Legend finally revealed – Dexerto

First look at Apex Legends Mobile exclusive Legend finally revealed Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends Mobile teaser appears to have offered a first look at a new character arriving in the Outlands, and it’s possible they’re a platform-exclusive. While Season 13 of Apex Legends is now well-underway on PC and consoles, all attention has been shifted to the launch of Apex Legends Mobile on May 17. As expected, Respawn decided to build the hype and excitement for the launch with an action-packed trailer that features some of the most well-known faces in Outlands, including Bangalore, Wraith, Lifeline, and of course, the trickster Mirage. However, it’s the last 20 seconds of the trailer that’s intrigued viewers the most, as a mysterious new Legend is teased on a TV screen in front of Titanfall’s own Kuben Blisk. This has sparked speculation from the community that Apex Mobile may be released with a platform exclusive new Legend. New Legend teased for Apex Legends Mobile Back on March 17, EA and Respawn confirmed in a blog post that the mobile version of the game will be receiving its own platform exclusive Legends. So, when Kuben Blisk appeared at the end of the Season 1 Launch trailer and mentioned a new Legend, it certainly piqued the interest of the community. During this scene, the announcer mentions “new competition” in the next match from a “challenger climbing the ranks”. The silhouette of the Legend in the teaser looks nothing like any of the current roster on PC, so it’s being speculated that they’re the first mobile-exclusive Legend. New Legend teaser for Apex Legends Mobile… 👀 pic.twitter.com/ydXl9mpTT7 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) May 11, 2022 At this point in time, we have no information on this mysterious character and it hasn’t been confirmed by Respawn that they’re a new or exclusive Legend. However, all the clues point toward this being a brand new Legend in the Outlands, and with them possibly being exclusive to mobile — it’ll be interesting to see what their abilities look like.

  • First look at Apex Legends Season 10 legendary skins: Valkyrie & Horizon – Dexerto

First look at Apex Legends Season 10 legendary skins: Valkyrie & Horizon Respawn EntertainmentRespawn are giving Valkyrie and Horizon a pair of new skins in the upcoming Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence patch update, and here’s your first look at their new cosmetics. The studio has been gearing up for the Emergence update patch with new lore videos on upcoming Legend, Seer and even changing up the loot pool when Season 10’s changes come into effect. While there’s going to be plenty of changes in Apex Legends, it’ll come along with something players are all too familiar with: new skins for the cast of Legends. Valkyrie and Horizon are both set for Legendary skins in the Season 10 Battle Pass, and here’s the first look at their new looks. (Timestamp at 1:32 for mobile viewers) During the full Apex Legends: Emergence gameplay trailer, Respawn gave us a peek at what’s to come, including Horizon’s new Legendary skin. It’s unknown what tier Horizon’s new skin will be in the Battle Pass, but it’s giving the Gravitational Manipulator a wild new look for Season 10. Meanwhile, Valkyrie will have a similar skin inspired from critters similar to Seer’s moth minidrones to celebrate the new character. Valkyrie will don a magenta powersuit with her new Legendary cosmetic, with a horned visor and similar bug-eye lenses. Valk’s new skin could be the only change we see to her in Season 10, and it’s already shaping up as one of her better skins in the game. There’s plenty of updates coming to World’s Edge, and two of the better characters in Apex Legends will have new skins to go along with those changes. Expect a full Season 10 patch reveal the closer we get to the Apex Legends: Emergence update. Until then, stay up-to-date on our Apex hub and @AlphaIntel for complete coverage.

  • First look at Apex Legends Firing Range training area coming in Season 3 – Dexerto

First look at Apex Legends Firing Range training area coming in Season 3 Respawn EntertainmentDevelopers Respawn Entertainment have announced that a new practice feature called Firing Range is coming soon to Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown. The launch of Season 3 in Apex Legends has undoubtedly introduce plenty of new content in the popular battle royale title, including a brand new map, Legend, weapon, and more. Now, Respawn have revealed that another huge addition is on its way – Firing Range, a revamped version of the training area currently in the game. While the current training ground is a place where players can go and practice, it is relatively limited, and the new Firing Range will be taking it up a notch, or three, and offer something that hasn’t been seen before in Apex. “By popular request, we will be updating training ground, which I believe will be called Firing Range, that you will be able to go into,” the developers said. “We have laid out all that sweet, sweet loot, we have dummies there with shields and stuff you can shoot. You can use your abilities, you will be able to switch your character.” There are a multitude of ways that this new Firing Range is a massive upgrade over the existing practice area. For one, players will be able to change their character any time, allowing them to try out the abilities of all available Legends. Every weapon, scope, attachment, hop-up, throwable, consumable and item that’s in the regular playlists will be also be made available, and not just one version but rather all rarities. Read More: Apex’s new train has secret Supply Bins – Dummies have also been added to the firing area, some fitted with armor, giving players replicas of enemies they can shoot at and use their Legend’s abilities on. Last but not least, teammates will be able to enter the range together, which may not seem like a huge deal, but it does allow people to try out different strategies as well as see how their own abilities affect each other. You can check out some gameplay footage of Firing Range in the video below, which is episode one of Respawn’s new ‘Apex Devstream’ YouTube series. (Segment starts at 6:45 mark for mobile users) As the developers alluded to, this feature has been something that players have been consistently asking for really since the game first came out back in February. There’s no doubt that almost everyone will receive this addition positively, considering that it does a good job addressing their concerns about how limited the current training ground is. The only thing that the devs did not reveal was the actual release date for Firing Range, although they did confirm it is “coming soon” and will be added during Season 3.

  • First look at Apex Legends Centurion Legendary Bloodhound skin – Dexerto

First look at Apex Legends Centurion Legendary Bloodhound skin The Apex Legends Iron Crown solos event begins August 13 and features an event-exclusive Legendary skin Bloodhound skin which we now have our first look at. After much pleading from fans, Apex Legends is finally adding in a solo mode, but it’s only around for two weeks as part of a limited-time event. That has the chance to stay much longer depending on feedback from the fans, and there’s a good chance it will be positive given the prizes that are up for grabs. A brand-new Bloodhound skin was unveiled that takes us back to the time of the ancient Romans. Fans have been clamoring for better skins since the launch of the item shop and Respawn looks to have taken that feedback to heart by offering a good looking selection of skins with this event. Forge your own path in Apex Legends with The Centurion Legendary Bloodhound skin, only available in the Iron Crown Collection Event. The fight begins August 13: https://t.co/MloiNpZWJM pic.twitter.com/dx28a24g7x — Xbox (@Xbox) August 11, 2019 One thing we’re still missing is exactly how we’re supposed to unlock the skin but that will be revealed once the event actually begins. Bloodhound isn’t the only one getting a new skin as Wraith and Pathfinder are also receiving a nice looking one, bringing the confirmed number of Legends getting enhanced looks up to three. We’d be surprised if new skins don’t end up coming to even more Legends considering how good looking and well-received these have been so far. Details about the event itself are still scarce as all we really know is it will feature a solos-only mode with skins as rewards, but there might be more to it. Getting a permanent solos mode would be huge for Apex as it’d then be on par with other battle royale titles such as Fortnite or PUBG with their gameplay options. Apex is more team-oriented than those games due to the different Legends but Respawn can certainly find a way to make it work.

  • First in-game look at Rampart leaked ahead of Apex Legends Season 6 – Dexerto

First in-game look at Rampart leaked ahead of Apex Legends Season 6 Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer D3TQkpdy]Apex Legends players have finally got their first proper look at Rampart in-game ahead of the Season 6 update, thanks to a now-deleted leak that revealed the new Legend’s model and icon on the battle royale character-select screen. The new Rampart image, which was originally posted by Reddit user ‘americobatista’ before being deleted, reveals the Season 6 legend casually standing ready on the Apex Legends character select screen. The debutant’s model appears quite similar to her appearance in the “Boosted Launch” trailer released last week. Her turret, nicknamed “Sheila,” can be spotted hooked onto her back. The legend’s ‘R’ logo is stamped on her shoulder plate. Rampart’s character icon can also be spotted behind the player-select cursor. The Season 6 Legend’s small splash-art seems to line up with the leaked imagery we got our hands on in early August, bubblegum and all. Finally, the leaked Apex Legends select screen confirms Rampart is set to become the battle royale’s fourth defensive option behind Gibraltar, Caustic, and Wattson. Rampart’s in-game character model and #ApexLegends icon art appears to have been leaked in a now-deleted Reddit post. via @iLootGames pic.twitter.com/vVO1H2sCdp — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) August 14, 2020 What the leaked image tells us about Rampart There are a few things we can learn right off the bat from the leaked Rampart image too. The main one is that her moniker will be the “Base of Fire”. That seems to play into her defensive, turret-based style of Apex Legends gameplay. The second is that it looks like Rampart won’t have to call in her turret when she wants to deploy it mid-battle. Many Apex Legends fans were expecting a similar system to Lifeline’s care package ultimate, where it takes time to land. Instead, Rampart appears to be carrying Sheila around on her back. The machine gun may still take some time to deploy after using the Legend’s ultimate, of course. Keep that in mind when you get into your first game. What we know about Rampart so far We already know a lot about Rampart ahead of her August 18 release date. The new Apex Legends heroine has a turret named Sheila, which is likely to be her ultimate ability. She also builds solid steel barriers for her teammates. Respawn treated Apex Legends fans to their first look at the Season 6 legend’s abilities in action in the “Endorsement” trailer this week. Rampart shows off her potential tactical and ultimate abilities in the animated short. The last leak we had on her potential abilities were as follows: Tactical: ‘Amped Cover’ — Build cover with an upper barrier that blocks incoming shots and boosts the damage of outgoing shots. – Ultimate: ‘Emplaced HMG’ — Place a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. High ammo capacity, long reload time. – Passive: ‘Cover Fire’ — Firing from the Amped Cover overcharges your damage. – Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello went out of his way to, at least partially, debunk these leaks, however. They do seem to line up with the abilities on-show in the new Rampart trailer, but take them with a grain of salt. It’s also now been confirmed Rampart is working with former Titanfall 2 antagonist Kuben Blisk in some capacity. The Apex Predator mercenary, who founded the battle royale in-game, recruits her after her heroics in the trailer. Rampart’s official reveal will happen as part of the Season 6 launch. The update will go live next week, on Tuesday, August 18; we’ll have all the news and guides on @TitanfallBlog when the seasonal update finally drops.

  • First in-game look at Loba and her animations leaked in Apex Legends – Dexerto

First in-game look at Loba and her animations leaked in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentProminent Apex Legends dataminer ‘iLootGames’ has found and leaked an unreleased character who he claims is Loba, giving fans their first-ever look at the expected next new Legend. As with every major update in Apex Legends, the launch of Bloodhound’s Old Ways event on April 7 added some new files to the game’s back end that were not meant to be released, at least not yet. Shortly after the patch went live, visuals were leaked online showing a female character that has never been seen before in the game. lets just say, loba is all grown up now… pic.twitter.com/NaFkgHUeyC — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) April 7, 2020 According to iLootGames, the dataminer who discovered the files, the character is actually Loba, who many expect to be the next new Legend once Season 5 rolls around. Read More: Apex Legends Old Ways update patch notes – Not only was he able to leak an image of the Legend, but he also managed to get his hands on a video showing Loba doing some walking animations as well as what could be some sort of attack at the very end. Our first look at loba pic.twitter.com/b5tavNDmp1 — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) April 7, 2020 The leaks don’t end there; iLootGames also shared some details about how Loba will first be revealed in Apex Legends. According to some lines of code he pulled, the character will first appear in “phase 4” of teasers and will be shown on the in-game banners. Tease phase 4 is when loba will appear pic.twitter.com/qkLHBySHti — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) April 7, 2020 appears she will be in the banners in this teaser pic.twitter.com/YaCkwH6TfH — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) April 7, 2020 Who is Loba? Everything we know so far about Loba has been the result of leaks and speculation since developers Respawn Entertainment haven’t even formally acknowledged her existence. Many believe she is the little girl shown in the Revenant reveal trailer, the one whose parents the Synthetic Nightmare murdered. There is a brief moment when she can be seen holding a small figure of a wolf, which is “loba” in Portuguese, the language that she and her family spoke in the video. The theory is that she’ll be back in Season 5 to exact her revenge against Revenant, and now that we have our first look at her adult form, that speculation is looking more and more legitimate. As for her abilities, again, we have nothing to go off of except leaks, but former dataminer That1MiningGuy described her kit as being focused around looting and finding high-tier items and weapons, which can be crucial in the early phases of matches. Burglar’s Best Friend – Throw a disc and teleport to that location – Supply for Demand – Choose a type of loot and reveal all matching gear through walls – Eye for Quality – Activate hidden compartment in bins for extra loot – All that said, however, there’s no guarantee that Loba will even be added to the game, despite all of the information and now images that have been found. Respawn proved how far they’re willing to go to ensure that their future content remains a surprise when they added fake info about Forge and even falsely announced him as the new Legend for Season 4. Read More: Apex Legend Twitch Prime Wraith skin leaked – A developer later revealed that it was part of a ploy to trick leakers and their followers and hide the fact that Revenant was actually the new character, while Forge ended up getting killed off before even appearing in-game. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest news, leaks, and updates about Loba as soon as more information becomes available.

  • First images of Apex Legends Funko Pop figures released, and they’re adorable – Dexerto

First images of Apex Legends Funko Pop figures released, and they’re adorable EAIt was announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con that Funko figures wereApex Legends and now we got our first official look at them. Love them or hate them, Funko Pop figures are wildly popular and make for an excellent way to get into collecting figurines. Apex Legends features a distinct cast of characters that lend themselves perfectly to figures like this and Funko delivered in a big way, as we can see from the first images of them below. Game Informer first revealed the images and as you can see it includes all of the original Legends which means we don’t have a figure for Octane or Wattson – yet. Read More: Apex Legends finally gets a solo mode – It wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense for Funko to unveil just part of the roster without filling it out completely in the future. Back in February, shortly after the launch of Apex Legends, Funko tried to gauge if there would be any interest in Pop figures and it turns out they must’ve received enough of a positive response since they have been made. “How many gamers out there are loving Apex Legends,” Funko asked. “Would this interest you?” How many gamers out there are loving #ApexLegends?! Would this interest you? https://t.co/SROErWcr9d — Funko (@OriginalFunko) February 12, 2019 One thing we’re still missing is some sort of pricing for the figures as Funko didn’t reveal anything on that front. Pops on their own don’t usually cost more than just a few dollars so don’t expect to break the bank here unless you plan on buying them all at once. Another thing missing is a release date as all we know right is they are coming soon. However, they could end up sneaking up on us out of nowhere, especially considering we’ve seen the complete models of them so they should be nearing release.

  • First image of new Apex Legends character Revenant potentially revealed – Dexerto

First image of new Apex Legends character Revenant potentially revealed EAApex Legends level designer Alex Graner revealed what could be the first image of Revenant in the background of a series of visuals he uploaded. There were a lot of teases for Crypto, the newest character in Apex Legends, and now that he’s in the game, it looks like Respawn already have their eyes set on someone else. In a collection of images uploaded to his Twitter page, Graner gave us what appears to be our first look at the upcoming Legend called Revenant. Man I love Blocktober! Here’s some blockouts of Octane’s Gauntlet I designed for #ApexLegends. The whole design started from the idea of 2 giant ramps and a ring of fire. This was a fun one to make and was my first AAA shipped content.#Blocktober #Leveldesign pic.twitter.com/ZbOLShbnA6 — Alex Graner (@Alex_Graner) October 8, 2019 It’s surprising to see a new character introduced with little fanfare like this, but we’ll take anything we can get in terms of new information. Apex Legends traditionally releases one new Legend per season, and with Crypto being the Season 3 addition, we have already reached that quota, so either we’re getting a second one soon, or this is being saved for a future season. While this is our supposed first look at Revenant from an official source, we saw a leaked image of him as recently as October 6, which had a picture of him along with other unreleased characters. At the time, it was hard to confirm if the leak was indeed accurate, but now it’s looking like it has some more weight behind it, though still unconfirmed. The image of Revenant in question. Of course, now that we have a potential name and a face to this new character, we’re still missing is his abilities and release date. With the Halloween event just right around the corner, that would be a perfect time for Respawn to introduce the new character, if they decide to go that route. For a game that has no single-player campaign, Apex Legends has a surprisingly deep amount of lore baked into it. We’re sure Revenant will have a complex backstory like Crypto, Wattson, Octane, and the others had before him. Look for more information regarding this new character going forward and stay with Dexerto for more updates.

  • Apex Legends players have found the new Wraith in The First Descendant – Dexerto

Apex Legends players have found the new Wraith in The First Descendant EA, Nexon GamesApex Legends players say Wraith has a counterpart in The First Descendant’s Bunny, the shooter’s most popular character, so far. For years, a contingent of Apex Legends faithful have questioned the viability and enduring popularity of Wraith. Some have even gone as far as calling her the “worst Legend” in the bunch, criticizing her Passive and Tactical abilities for feeling subpar. And yet, the movement Legend’s long remained a fan-favorite for a sizable group of players. According to those who don’t favor her so much, The First Descendant has a Wraith of its own – Bunny. The First Descendant just landed on July 2 and Bunny has already cemented herself as one of the most popular characters. A quick glimpse around Albion, the social space, will show numerous players using Bunny as their playable hero. However, Reddit user CammyHoliday argues Ajax deserves the title of best Descendant, not Bunny. One person in the thread poked fun at the number of Bunnies they had to revive in Void Intercept battles while playing as Ajax. “Don’t get me wrong, Bunny is great for farming, but she’s not that great on VI bosses,” the user added. This comment prompted someone else to respond with an Apex Legends comparison, writing, “Oh good lord. Bunny in First Descendant is Wraith in Apex.” Several other people in the thread also pointed out Bunny’s general ineffectiveness against The First Descendant’s boss characters. “She is insanely bad on bosses at least with the gear we all have rn,” reads one such comment. Players favoring her early on should hardly come as a surprise. Bunny is one of the first heroes players will unlock since her standard version merely requires players to follow the main storyline for a short while. The First Descendant is still in its infancy, so there’s no telling how opinions will change as time goes on. Things could especially shift once Season 1 arrives with a new Descendant and more in tow.

  • Caustic Town Takeover teasers in Apex Legends: Secret messages on Kings Canyon – Dexerto

Caustic Town Takeover teasers in Apex Legends: Secret messages on Kings Canyon Respawn EntertainmentTeasers for Caustic’s Town Takeover in Apex Legends Season 8 are appearing on Kings Canyon, giving players a mixed bag of hype and dread for what the Toxic Trapper’s event will play like. Respawn likes to give their Legends a turn in the spotlight with Town Takeovers that transform a point of interest (POI) in the battle royale to emulate a given character. We’ve seen ones for Octane, Mirage, and Bloodhound, just to name a few. As the studio makes its way through their catalog of Legends, there’s always an atmosphere of renewed excitement for who will get the next Town Takeover going into a season. For Season 8, it’s expected to be part of the Chaos Theory event. If previous leaks are to be believed, Season 8’s Town Takeover is centered around Caustic and plenty of teasers should be in the game soon. Dropping at this location, players could then play a short voice message from Caustic: “The erupted gas pocket and fuel have combined, to create a gargantuan supply of toxin. If there’s a way to refine it, I could mold it into something spectacular.” Second Caustic teaser The next teaser then dropped on February 25. Again, the loading screen was changed to a new location, and dropping here, you can find another message from Caustic. “The best way to test this would be human subjects. Luckily, there’s an ample supply of Lab Rats right here.” Third Caustic Teaser A follow up teaser appeared in the Apex Games on February 27 that revealed even more about the Toxic Trapper’s ambitions for the water treatment facility. “The water treatment facility will not purify this toxic spill. If I could convince them that I could handle it… well, that would open some real possibilities.” Third hidden Caustic message now live on Kings Canyon… “”The water treatment facility will not purify this toxic spill. On the Water Treatment locale, you can now see a ‘facility is under new management’ banner that’s a clear indication of the POI getting a makeover soon. However, players that aren’t loving how strong he is at the moment are dreading to see how toxic the event will be. Read more: How to master Octane in Apex Legends – According to the schedule, we can expect the next in-game teaser to appear on Feb. 27, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that one too.

  • Final Fantasy VII’s Buster Sword coming to Apex Legends as heirloom for every character – Dexerto

Final Fantasy VII’s Buster Sword coming to Apex Legends as heirloom for every character RespawnThe Apex Legends x Final Fantasy VII Rebirth event is finally here, and it’s giving players the chance to wield Cloud Strife’s legendary Buster Sword. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Apex Legends’ next big event, which sees Final Fantasy VII cross over with the popular shooter. Now the event, first announced at 2023’s Game Awards, is finally coming to fruition. It’s a big deal for the Titanfall 2-adjacent battle royale. Apex Legends has been popular since its 2019 launch, but it’s never had a crossover quite as high profile as this. The event is meant to celebrate the forthcoming release of Final Fantasy VIII: Rebirth, and it’s doing so with a slew of cosmetics. But one cosmetic is going to stand out more than the rest, letting players wield Final Fantasy’s most iconic sword. Cloud’s Buster sword will be an heirloom for every character in Apex Legends Shown in the launch trailer and confirmed on EA’s events page, Apex Legends players can get Cloud Strife’s iconic Buster Sword during the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy VII Rebirth event. What’s more, the sword will be both a weapon in a unique limited-time Takeover mode and a cosmetic for all players, akin to a Heirloom. In the new Final Fantasy VII Takeover mode, players wield the Buster Sword R2R5, which will have unique gameplay abilities, including light and heavy attacks, blocking, and a dash. • Final circles in Apex Legends’ Diamond Rank are insane – Dexerto

Final circles in Apex Legends’ Diamond Rank are insane Respawn EntertainmentPlayers have been grinding games in Apex Legends since the long-awaited Ranked Leagues launched on July 2, and a look into the final circle of a typical Diamond match reveals the insanity that can quickly take over the battlefield. While players have been loving Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, before Ranked Leagues released, matches were largely unsatisfying either because opponents weren’t challenging enough or a lack of incentive to win made playing with randoms the wrong kind of hectic. But since players of different caliber and skills can now be placed in proper tiers, high ranked players are noticing a change of the quality when jumping into King’s Canyon, especially in the endgame. In a Reddit post, user ‘The-SadShaman’ shared his view of the final circle in a Diamond ranked match which perfectly shows the madness that can develop in a server filled with battle-hardened Legends. With only one other teammate in a circle filled with five squads, The-SadShaman can be seen looting up before the circle closed in once again to a suffocating degree. Then the “Ring Closing” banner popped up on the screen, forcing the players left alive to make their move to the smaller zone. Stuck between a zone and a Caustic Nox Trap, the player had to book it to keep their team’s hopes alive, leaving his Pathfinder to die in the zone. The game quickly turned into a 1v1v1v1 as the sole representatives of four squads were looking for ways to outwit the others. Pressing the issue, The-SadShaman had to hold their nerve as they worked to finish off a bunkered Caustic while taking shots from Gibraltar in the opposite direction high above a catwalk. After finishing off Caustic, the player went around the corner for cover just to find a battered Octane healing up. Using the last shots in their Alternator’s clip, the player fired a barrage of gunfire that made the Octane retreat into the zone, ending his game. That’s when the final boss Gibraltar laid down his Defensive Bombardment, making it hard to see and heal for the final engagement. But The-SadShaman was able to make him out as he dropped down, forcing the player to stop their Med Kit and take a shot at ending the game. The-SadShaman was able to come away with a Champion screen, but the gameplay shown has been resonating with a lot of Apex Legends players because of how intense the game can really be.

  • Female Apex Legends players hit out after only 2 women picked in NICKMERCS tournament – Dexerto

Female Apex Legends players hit out after only 2 women picked in NICKMERCS tournament liquipediaA number of female players and streamers in Apex Legends have hit out on social media over a perceived lack of inclusion, after only two women were picked to play in the MFAM Gauntlet tournament on March 31. The MFAM Gauntlet is a community tournament series organized by NICKMERCS. A captain is selected for each team by the organizers, who are then given the opportunity to pick two more players to complete their trio. Once all teams were selected, only two women had made the cut; Laurice ‘GuhRL’ Habibi and ClaraAtWork. This was highlighted by competitive player and streamer ‘lightyrs’. This sparked a wider conversation, with a number of pro players calling for more female players to be invited. Others, however, argued that there are fewer women who aim to play competitively than men, and with thousands of dollars on the line, captains are more likely to pick established pros. SPIRE coach Patrick ‘hundredz’ Kwon argued that while there are women with “pro-capable talent” in Apex, they do not compete at the same level as male pros. “You cannot constantly post clips of yourself in diamond rank, only play in celes cup, stream mostly for content, and then expect to be picked over Sweet. I’m pro diversity, but that’s illogical,” he said. Streamer DIEGOSAURS disagreed, however, claiming that women are simply not given the chance to prove their abilities. In fact, one of the winning teams at the event featured GuhRL as the captain, and ClaraAtWork’s team finished 12th out of 20 teams. SoaR streamer VioletLex said that more captain slots should have been given to female players. TSM member GuhRL also weighed in, defending the player and captain choices as nothing more than selections based on who people “know and respect”. Some captains, she said, chose friends to play with and were not necessarily biased against women. Other tournaments, such as the 2022 TSM Invitational, have stipulated that each team must pick one female player. At the TSM-organized tournament, five of the top 10 players at the end of the 60-player event were women, including GuhRL and VioletLex. Apex Legends esports does not split competition like Valorant, with a VCT Game Changers circuit for women and people of marginalized genders. However, there have been women-only Apex tournaments organized by community members.

  • This fearsome Bloodhound skin would give Apex Legends players something to grind for – Dexerto

This fearsome Bloodhound skin would give Apex Legends players something to grind for Respawn EntertainmentPlayers have been wanting more diverse skins for Apex Legends that mix up the characters’ looks, and an immaculate design for Bloodhound could be the start of that trend. Respawn Entertainment launched Apex Legends out of nowhere to the delight of 50 million players, but the game has quickly fallen out of favor with a lot of early adopters due to a lack of content, problematic bugs and a troubling amount of cheaters. While it’ll take a lot of due diligence before the developers fix most of the issues plaguing the game, Respawn could get the ball rolling on one of those categories by adding something like artist Darshan ‘fragdar’ Fragnani’s concept for the Technological Tracker. 600The design gives Bloodhound an equally mysterious look to their base design, but paints them in a more menacing light along with their trusted pet companion, Arthur. Although not listed, it seems like fragdar took some inspiration from KillZone’s Helghast for Bloodhound’s big yellow eyes which suit the mysterious Legend all too well. As one of the Frontier’s greatest game hunters, fragdar retained Bloodhound’s knack for keeping some of the remains from their victims. The concept shows Bloodhound with numerous fangs around their neck and one hanging from the hilt of their blade. 600Bloodhound’s skin would fit into Season 1’s Wild Frontier theme Apex fans were instantly taken with fragdar’s redesign for Bloodhound who doesn’t seem to have a lot going on with their current slate of official skins in game. “…All of [Bloodhound’s] legendaries are either chinese (japanese?) themed or italian/general european themed with the plague doctor,” Reddit user ‘unicorn6642’ said. “For a character with such a heavy emphasis on culture it’s so surprising none of their skins are actually related to their culture” Similarly, there were those that felt underwhelmed by Season 1’s skin offerings, and think that fragdar’s concept design would perfectly align with the “Wild Frontier” Battle Pass theme. 600“Shit like this [skin] should have been Battle Pass skins,” Reddit user ‘FeralCatEnthusiast’ said. “This screams ‘wild frontier/space dinosaur’ aesthetic more than the Navajo blanket patterns and ‘really grimy’ character skins that were only made for three Legends.” While the first season for Apex Legends is well underway, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Respawn to look closer at fan creations like this for future iterations of content for their battle royale.

  • FaZe Swagg goes viral on TikTok for the wrong reasons after trying Apex Legends – Dexerto

FaZe Swagg goes viral on TikTok for the wrong reasons after trying Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment / YouTube, SwaggMany top streamers and content creators have been trying out Apex Legends for the first time, including FaZe Clan’s very own Swagg, who has now gone viral on TikTok after struggling to figure out some of the game’s basic mechanics. Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has been a popular face for FaZe Clan, becoming one of their prize assets throughout 2021. Swagg made a huge name for himself in Warzone, racking up over $120K in prize money alone and ranking him in the top 15 of all-time. With hackers running loose in Verdansk the star decided to follow in the footsteps of the likes of NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman give Apex Legends a go and ended up going viral but not for anything amazing that he did. Swagg struggles in first attempt on Apex Legends The content creator has been trying out different games and, with Apex on the rise, he wanted to hop in on the wave. This game differs a lot from Warzone with abilities, terrains, and weapons that vastly differ from the Call of Duty title. This TikTok shows Swagg trying his best to get the hang of things and it looks like it’s going to be a long, uphill battle for the FaZe member. You can see why this video went viral as he really was not having a fun time. Swagg starts by trying to run up a wall that you can’t get up without his grapple. He then proceeded to unload all of his ammo on his downed teammate. All of this just to get killed and have his squad’s run end. However, as every player must do when making a mistake, he blames the gun, his teammates, and the game for his failure. • FaZe might be out of Apex Esports according to Battlefy page – Dexerto

FaZe might be out of Apex Esports according to Battlefy page Joe Brady/ ALGSThe Battlefy page for Year 4 of the Apex Legends Global Series listed FaZe Clan’s team as ex-FaZe, before changing it back, leading to the assumption that the esports organization might be exiting the title. FaZe Clan might be out of Apex Legends esports according to a change in their Battlefy page. Battlefy is the tournament hub for the esport and lists the teams that have been invited to the various ALGS Pro League across the world. Under the teams listed in North America, FaZe was at one point listed as ex-FaZe, which usually only happens for team slots that are owned by ex-players of organizations that have left the competition. NRG, who left the esport soon after the 2023 ALGS Championship, has its slot listed as ex-NRG and includes Christopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton and Nathan ‘Nafen’ Nguyen. The change was first reported by Esports.gg. However, a FaZe Apex Legends player has responded to the news with surprise. FaZe Clan Apex page listed the team as ex-FaZe Clan Josue ‘Phony’ Ruiz, who joined the team in 2023 and helped the squad to a top-10 showing at the 2023 ALGS Championship, did not sound convinced that the change was accurate on social media. “News to me type sh** that’s crazy lmao,” he said. The Battlefy page for the circuit now lists the team as just FaZe Clan. FaZe Clan joined the EA esport in 2022 and had a great 2022-23 ALGS season, placing top 20 in the first North American Pro League split and then top 5 in the second. The squad also placed top 6 at both LAN events it attended. While the news would be surprising given the team’s success in the esport, there could be larger forces at play. FaZe was just acquired by the company that owns Complexity Gaming, which also competes in Apex Legends, among other esports. The organization has reportedly already started looking into offloading its Counter-Strike team, and doing the same in Apex Legends would also make sense. However, no official announcement has been made at the time of writing by Battlefy, FaZe Clan, or its parent company GameSquare.

  • FaZe Clan enter Apex Legends esports as Snip3down returns – Dexerto

FaZe Clan enter Apex Legends esports as Snip3down returns FaZe Clan YouTubeFaZe Clan have revealed its new Apex Legends roster on October 26 headlined by Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona one day after the former Halo pro retired from the new title and teased a return to the battle royale esport. Snip3down is a Halo veteran and legend logging 15 years in the competitive title. For the last two years, he participated in Halo competitions under the banner of TSM, FaZe and eUnited. But Snip3down began playing competitive Apex Legends in 2020, even getting third-place finish at ALGS Championship in 2021 with TSM. It seems that the legendary Halo player has decided to make the full transition to Apex. Faze Clan and Snip3down join forces and enter Apex Legends Faze Clan took to Twitter to announce that they will be making their first foray into Apex Legends esports. Joining them will be the legendary former Halo player, Snip3down. The veteran esports player will be joined by ‘SlurpeeG,’ a North American player who played for SXG and G-Force in the Apec Legends Global Series Pro League previously. A third player has yet to be announced but was teased in the roster reveal. The third and final player on the FaZe roster has yet to be revealed, but the most likely candidate for the role is Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith. The 22-year-old player has been seen competing with Snip3down alongside SlurpeeG recently. Albralelie played for TSM in the esport before switching to content creation in late 2020. He has stood in for Team Liquid and Cloud9 since his retirement from pro play and was last seen at the ALGS 2022 Championship. The move has yet to be confirmed, but the rollout of FaZe into Apex Legends has been anything but subtle as Snip3down has made his intentions know since his retirement and discontent with Halo esports.

  • FaZe Clan Apex roster “probably” not sticking together according to Snip3down – Dexerto

FaZe Clan Apex roster “probably” not sticking together according to Snip3down Joe Brady/ ALGSThe Apex Legends esports off-season is ongoing and it seems like changes are coming to one of the best rosters in North America, FaZe Clan. FaZe Clan might be the next top Apex Legends team to make changes to its lineup. The organization is going through many changes behind the scenes following the acquisition by GameSquare. Some of those changes will soon impact FaZe’s esports teams as the company cannot own two teams across multiple esports as GameSquare also owns Complexity Gaming. Changes are reportedly already hitting FaZe’s Counter-Strike 2 team as its players are being lined with other squads. The FaZe Apex Legends team might be the next squad impacted by the changes. Its Battlefy team name for the ALGS was listed as ex-FaZe Clan shortly before being changed back to FaZe Clan. However, a member of FaZe Clan has disputed that the organization is leaving the esport, saying it would be “news to him.” Snip3down updates fans on the fate of FaZe Clan in Apex In a livestream on October 27, FaZe player Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona gave fans a quick update on the fate of the team. “We’re probably not playing together but until you hear otherwise, it’s unofficial,” he said at just over an hour into his stream. If the FaZe players do end up hitting the free market, many teams will be vying for their services. The Apex team had a great run towards the end of the 2022-23 season. They placed top 5 in the North American Pro League and at the Split 2 Playoff LAN tournament. The squad also placed top 6 at the 2023 ALGS Championship. If FaZe Clan does indeed exit the esport, then the team’s slot ownership will stay with the players and at least two out of the three current members will need to stick together to keep the spot. The off-season is still ongoing and there are loads of players looking for a team to play for in the 2023-24 season.

  • FaZe Clan announces new Apex Legends pro squad for ALGS Split 2 – Dexerto

FaZe Clan announces new Apex Legends pro squad for ALGS Split 2 FaZe ClanFaZe Clan has announced their new Apex Legends pro squad that they hope will be able to compete for the crown in ALGS Split 2. With ALGS Split 2 approaching, a lot of Apex Legends pro teams are shifting their rosters and even creating brand-new squads. One of the anticipated teams is FaZe Clan and the excitement for the organization has only grown since the team announced its new revamped roster on March 9. FaZe Clan Apex Legends new pro roster revealed Taking to Twitter with an impressive trailer, FaZe unveiled exactly who would be competing on their Apex Legends pro team in ALGS Split 2. As expected, Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona is returning from the last split, and joining him are Josue ‘Phony’ Ruiz and Joseph ‘Frexs’ Sanchez. With Frexs previously playing for the now-disbanded Spacestation Gaming and Phony formerly competing for Esports Arena, these two experienced players definitely have a lot to offer. Only time will tell whether FaZe’s new roster will gel together and have the synergy to compete with the best. Taking on the giants of TSM and NRG will be a tough task, but there’s certainly enough talent on this roster to make a splash in ALGS Split 2.

  • FaZe Apex pro smashes desk as teams bombs out of ALGS NA pro league – Dexerto

FaZe Apex pro smashes desk as teams bombs out of ALGS NA pro league Joe Brady/ ALGSThe stakes were high during the final few matches of ALGS NA Pro League, and the moment seemed to get to FaZe Clan player Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona who raged out after being eliminated. ALGS is gearing up for Split 1 Playoffs, which will take place sometime in May as teams have already started to qualify for the international tournament. While the best teams are busy qualifying for LAN, the worst teams across every ALGS league are being relegated to their regional qualifiers. During Round 3 of the North American ALGS competition, one player let his emotions take over after his squad was eliminated during a match. FaZe Snip3down rages out during ALGS Pro League FaZe Clan player Snip3down slammed his desk after a particularly frustrating sequence for the Apex Legends team. The squad was eliminated just outside of the top 10, and later in the day was relegated from the league based on their performance during the regular season. During the play, Snip3down was downed and slowly made his way to his team before being eliminated by an enemy. His viewers then heard several loud bangs, seemingly from the player slamming his desk. Snip3down and FaZe have not had the best season in 2024. The team restructured around Snip3down during the off-season, bringing in two new players and not signing a coach. FaZe was a LAN staple in 2023, attending the ALGS Championship and Split 2 Playoffs. The team placed in the top six at both events. Now, the crew will miss the first LAN of 2024 and will have to play their way back into the league or sign a roster already in the league to stay in NA ALGS. What the future holds for Snip3down and FaZe Clan in Apex Legends esports remains to be seen.

  • Fastest ways to level up Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass – Dexerto

Fastest ways to level up Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass Respawn EntertainmentThe Season 1 Battle Pass is available now in Apex Legends and here are some of the best ways to level it up – saving yourself a whole bunch of time in the process. When was the Apex Legends battle pass released? After about a month of waiting, Apex Legends dropped the Season 1 Battle Pass on March 19 and 100 tiers of unlockables with it – including character skins, weapon skins and a ton of new badges to show off. It didn’t take long for players to realize it takes a little while to go through the tiers and level them up. Here are some ways that would make the leveling up process quicker and a little bit less of a grind. How can you find extra XP in Apex Legends? Apex Legends actually makes a lot of XP available for players during each match, it just becomes a case of knowing what to look for. Of course, securing kills and wins is going to help quite a bit, but there are other ways too – if you’re not the type of player to hot drop into the Bunker for some early action. A chart that was posted to Reddit breaks down many of the ways players can earn XP and it is currently one of the best ways to level the Battle Pass, outside of just grinding the game for hours on end. What are the best ways to level up the Battle Pass? Reddit user ‘Spartun’ created a guide to supplement the information found on GamingFeature that showed all of the different ways players could earn experience in Apex Legends. The chart goes over things like getting your first kill of the day, first kill on each Legend, taking out the champion and even just playing matches as different characters – showing that there are a ton of ways to secure XP, just so long as you’re willing to put in the time and effort needed to secure it. You can find a full breakdown of the quickest ways to pick up XP below. Apex Legends Daily and Weekly XP bonus First kill of the day: 500 XP – First kill of the day on each legend: 500 XP – stacking up to 4500 XP – 25,000 bonus survival time per legend per week – Battle Pass bonus XP: 225,000 [Maxing all Legends] – A possible 256,500 XP bonus per week – Survival Time XP Survival time needed to max out one Legend’s XP: 139 minutes – Minimum XP gained per maxed Legend per week: 50,000 – Level 110 would take around 150 hours of Survival Time while always getting Legend XP bonus with no teammates – Level 110 would take around 300 hours to reach on Survival Time alone – Will it mean anything for Season 2? On March 20, Respawn Entertainment responded to player complaints that it took too long to level up in the Battle Pass. “The battle pass takes approximately ~100 hours if you use the bonuses and get a few kills here and there,” the developer wrote. “Which is a little over 1 hour of in-game time per day.” If you follow all of the details above then you can probably speed the process up a little bit and you’ll hit level 110 in time for the start of Season 2. Yet, it remains to be seen if reaching the top of the mountain will grant you anything moving forward.

  • Fastest way to rank up Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass – It’s even harder than Season 1 – Dexerto

Fastest way to rank up Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass – It’s even harder than Season 1 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have finally got their hands on the Season 2 battle pass, which so far looks to be a big step up from Season 1 – but it might actually be harder to reach level 100 this time around. Unlike Season 1, the new battle pass is now ‘challenge based’, which you may think will make it much easier to hit the max level with all that extra XP up for grabs. However, Respawn have adjusted other XP gaining techniques accordingly, including the basic ‘survival time’ metric, and if you do the maths Season 2 is potentially going to be a lot harder than you might have expected. Thanks to Reddit user u/K_U who did the maths on the new battle pass, it’s clear that if you don’t keep up with the daily and weekly challenges in Season 2, you will fall behind in your progression significantly, perhaps even irreversibly. “The Season 2 leveling system is going to be a lot tougher than last season, and far more difficult to grind if you fall behind. Why? Progression is intentionally throttled to 10 “easy” levels per week by the 54K XP wall.” It’s all a bit confusing, but you can read the full reddit post for a more in-depth breakdown. Essentially, once you have completed the challenges, your ‘easy’ levels (those granted by the challenges) are used up, and you’ll now have to grind by virtue of match XP alone – but this has been nerfed significantly. Instead of earning approximately 6 survival XP per second (in Season 1), you’ll now earn only 3 XP per second in Season 2, and the amount of XP you’re aiming for is also higher. “It will take 5 hours of survival time XP per BP level (compared to 82 minutes of survival time XP per level in Season 1)”, K_U explains, and if you miss any of the weekly challenges, you may never reach the top level. Season 2 battle pass: How to rank up fast If you are aiming to hit level 100, you will need to gain roughly eight battle pass levels a week, which is fine if you’re doing all the challenges, but if you don’t complete each and every one, the task may become insurmountable. So really, ranking up fast is pretty simple: go for the challenges – all of them. It’s also important to take advantages of the regular bonuses, such as your first top 5 of the day, and your legend bonus by using a variety of characters (yes, that means giving up your main now and again, just for a game or two). Will there be bonus XP events? Presumably, yes, Respawn should throw in a couple double XP weekends or similar over the course of Season 2. So, keep your eyes peeled for that, especially if you think it’s unrealistic for you to complete every challenge. One player observed that this new battle pass progression system is aimed at making it harder for ‘grinders’ to reach level 100 too easily, while also enticing more casual, infrequent players, to keep coming back so they don’t fall behind. But, with the battle pass so reliant on the challenges, if you are on vacation one week, you may never be able to complete the whole thing, unless you’re willing to put in some serious hours – or buy a few levels with Apex coins.

  • Fast-paced Bloodhound-inspired LTM would be awesome in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Fast-paced Bloodhound-inspired LTM would be awesome in Apex Legends One Apex Legends fan has devised an idea for a Bloodhound inspired limited-time mode, perfectly mixing the technological tracker’s abilities with the battle royale formula. Despite being present in Apex Legends since its February 2019 release, Bloodhound has struggled to become a true fan favorite legend. The tracking abilities, while powerful in the right hands, have failed to make Bloodhound as loved as other legends, such as Wraith or Pathfinder. However, one fan’s idea for a Bloodhound inspired LTM would certainly help with this, and ensure variety was given to the well-established battle royale title. The idea, coming from one avid Apex Legends fan, was posted to Reddit on January 10. It is appropriately named ‘Bloodhunt’. Bloodhunt sees two teams and a total of 7 players; making it considerably smaller than the 60 player battle royales fans have become accustomed to. It also enables Team 1, consisting of just a Bloodhound, to remain in their ultimate ability for a round’s entire duration. Through the use of the ultimate ability – known as ‘Beast of the Hunt’ – players would have to track down and kill all members of Team 2, which would consist of unarmed Octanes. However, both teams have objectives. While Team 1 only has to eliminate all the enemies, Team 2 must “transport 5 cargo crates from epicenter to skyhook.” Hence, Bloodhunt is basically a race, in which the Bloodhound, using only a Longbow DMR and EVA-8 automatic shotgun, must eliminate the Octanes before they complete their objective. The final part of the explanation explains how frequently the cargo crates would spawn. It sounds like a unique game mode, centering around Octane’s speed and Bloodhound’s tracking. We have already seen battle royales incorporate game modes that vary from their established formula. For example, Fortnite introduced ‘Disco Domination’ in late 2018, a respawn-based game mode focusing on the capture of disco points on the map. Read More: Apex Legends muzzle flash fix coming soon – Bloodhunt would represent a nice change of pace from the 60 player ‘last-man-standing’ formula we have seen for nearly a year in Apex Legends. It remains to be seen how creative Respawn are willing to get with their LTMs.

  • Fascinating Apex Legends feature could hint at upcoming Mirage changes – Dexerto

Fascinating Apex Legends feature could hint at upcoming Mirage changes Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been spotting a new feature involving Mirage’s Ultimate ability that could potentially hint at a future change for the character. While Mirage is able to trick his opponents and sneak his way towards a victory, the legend’s Ultimate often leaves a lot to be desired. A survey of the Apex Legends player base back in November 2019, indicated that Mirage is the character most in need of a significant buff, with 91% of the community calling for an update to his kit. That update could be well and truly on the way as a recent feature might be teasing a new change in the pipeline. As it currently stands, Mirage’s Ultimate turns him invisible and spawns in six individual holograms that remain entirely immobile. Best used for flanking while untraceable, the decoys are often just a small bonus upon activating the ability as enemies are usually smart enough to spot them out. A recent feature throughout the limited time DUMMIE’s Big Day event has been changing their significance however as decoys have started to evolve. Highlighted throughout a January 27 Reddit post from ‘BootstrapBoon,’ holograms have started to mimic every movement of the player after being called in. Activating his ultimate before reviving a fallen teammate, the player was shocked as six translucent figures mirrored his movement and then crouched down on the floor as if reviving companions of their own. “Oh my god they’re all reviving,” he said while the holograms got to work. “How sick is that?” “Maybe they are testing something for Mirage,” Reddit user ‘crazyrat1990’ pondered while sharing a clip of their own that tracked the identical movement of each decoy. Part of the Grand Soirée event, the new limited-time mode replaces all Legends with test dummies that come boasting their own unique abilities. One ability spawns in a number of decoys similar to Mirage, leading the community to question whether we could see a similar mirroring effect coming soon to his Ultimate. “That’s all that Mirage needs not gonna lie. Decoys being proactive,” Reddit user ‘Moreinius’ chimed in. While there’s no telling if this is indeed a first look at a potential change to the Legend, it certainly appears as though the community is rallying behind such an adjustment. Comment byu/BootstrapBoon from discussion inapexlegends With Season 4 of Apex Legends right around the corner, there’s a good chance that a sweeping set of balance updates could bring about change for a number of characters. Perhaps Mirage’s Ultimate might be at the top of the list of changes come February 4 once the Season 4 patch is implemented.
