  • Dr Disrespect discovers a hilarious new way to use the Grappling Hooks in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect discovers a hilarious new way to use the Grappling Hooks in Apex Legends Apex Legends features a rich collection of Legends who the player can take control of. While Pathfinder might not be the most exciting character to choose, Dr Disrespect stumbled upon an interesting mechanic with the bot’s grapple might change some minds about him. The new game has taken the battle royale scene by storm, as millions of players have flocked to Respawn Entertainment’s latest offering shortly after release on February 4. Since then, players have been uncovering ways to use the many weapons in the game’s arsenal. Players will be familiar with Pathfinder, as the helpful bot introduces the player how to play the game through the intro. But, to the Doc’s surprise, it seems like the robot was holding back some deadly info about his Grappling Hook that could turn the tide of any engagement. The ability is primarily for getting Pathfinder to those hard to reach places so the player can scan the battlefield better, but aiming the reticle at an enemy has another effect. Pathfinder is primarily a supportive Legend due to his helpful mobility and recon abilities, like his Grappling Hook. But the ability can also be used to snare and pull an enemy toward the caster. The trick is similar to the Mortal Kombat character Scorpion when he uses his spear to close the gap with his opponent. Pathfinder’s hook can cross a sizable gap to create a close-quarter engagement the enemy probably wasn’t ready for. You can grapple ENEMIES with Pathfinder :scream: Kidnapping with the grappler is my new favorite hobby. All this and more on “”useless game mechanics you never knew you needed to know””@PlayApex pic.twitter.com/Cc5PyVtnSk — Grant Haynes (@Fickle_Platypus) February 5, 2019 The Doc’s flub was as hilarious as it was enlightening, and players are slowly becoming privy of the new mechanic. The trick can really open up Pathfinder’s use for a more aggressive playstyle. Players are sure to uncover more hidden but useful tricks in Apex Legends as the full game is now out for free on Xbox, PS4, and PC.

  • Dr Disrespect claims Apex Legends’ Kings Canyon is far better than Storm Point “snooze” – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect claims Apex Legends’ Kings Canyon is far better than Storm Point “snooze” YT: Dr Disrespect / Respawn EntertainmentMoustached YouTube entertainer Dr Disrespect has hit out at Apex Legends’ Storm Point map, claiming Kings Canyon is far superior than the tropical environment which dropped with Season 11. Apex Legends’ map rotation has become a hot topic in the community. When the game just boasted Kings Canyon there was little point in debating whether other maps should take its place but, now players have been treated to four different BR environments, the debate seldom stops. Kings Canyon remains and was overhauled with Season 14, but it has been joined by World’s Edge, Olympus and, most recently, Storm Point. The September 27 Ranked split changed the mode’s map from KC to Storm Point and, while some players welcomed the change and the chance to drop into a different environment, YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect does not appear to be among them. Dr Disrespect hits out at Storm Point as a “snooze of a map” On October 6, the two-time criticized the Season 11 map and stated he’d prefer Kings Canyon at all times. “I’d take King’s Canyon over Storm Point any day,” he said. “Snooze of [a] map…”. Others did agree, with Storm Point’s slightly slower pacing meaning Ranked matches take on a more tactical feel. Some did challenge the Doc on his assertions. TSM content creator Albralelie suggested the issues are with the Ranked mode itself, and not Storm Point: “It’s only a snooze because the ranked system doesn’t support the play style of the map. When everyone dies in the first 5 minutes, SP is the most boring map in the game.” It’s very unlikely that Respawn will adjust the Ranked Split map so, for the time being, Doc will have to make do with the snoozy Storm Point. There’s always the chance for his opinion to change as it has in the past. Just a few weeks ago, he broke a mouse while ranting about the need to remove Kings Canyon from the BR altogether. Maybe Season 15 will bring a map that has all the violence, speed, and momentum the Doc is after.

  • Dr Disrespect claims Apex Legends is the “most competitive” BR over Warzone & Fortnite – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect claims Apex Legends is the “most competitive” BR over Warzone & Fortnite Dr DisrespectYouTube star Dr Disrespect praised Apex Legends and claimed that developers Respawn Entertainment have nailed the formula for keeping the game alive. Dr Disrespect has been dominating Battle Royale games for quite some time, and now, he’s finally declared which one reigns supreme. Although the 40-year-old YouTuber has hit out at Apex Legends in the past, specifically pointing out the high amount of shields in the game, that didn’t stop him from opening up about how much respect he has for the game’s developers, Respawn Entertainment. Dr Disrespect anoints Apex as best BR over Fortnite & Warzone Doc was live on August 10 when he was asked by a viewer if he believes Apex will ever “die.” “Absolutely not,” he quickly responded. “I think they have a formula, they’re tapped in and they’ve got a great developer group working on the game. The game’s constantly evolving.” He then put his stamp of approval on Apex and claimed that it’s the “most competitive battle royale out there.” Click here if the video doesn’t load He didn’t stop praising the game there, however. He also said it “wasn’t close” when comparing other Battle Royale’s like Fortnite and Warzone of the genre to Apex. Despite the high appraisal, he did admit it’s fair to argue that Apex might not be the most fun game of the group to spectate. He said, “If you’re not into Apex, you just don’t watch it at all. But, if you’re really into it, if you play it and grind ranked, then I think you tend to watch more of it.” Although Doc doesn’t believe Apex is the most entertaining from a viewer’s perspective, he claimed that it offers the most for a competitive audience.

  • Dr Disrespect calls on Apex Legends devs to fix major hacking problems – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect calls on Apex Legends devs to fix major hacking problems Twitch streamer Apex Legends hackers infesting the game, and called on Respawn Entertainment and EA to do something about it. Apex Legends’ popularity skyrocketed the game to over 50 million players in less than two months. Unfortunately, cases of hackers among the player base have only increased since the game’s February 4 release. Dr Disrespect just booted up a match with his squad when an engagement in the Hydro Dam saw them pinched between two players that instantly lasered all three members of the team. After the Doc and his team were wiped out by players that seemed to be hacking, the Two-time issued an alert to EA and Respawn Entertainment about the critical state their shooter is in right now. “It’s getting worse and worse,” Dr Disrespect said about the amount of hackers in the game. “I got to send an alert out right now. ALERT Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, creators of Madden, alert alert alert: Your hackers are thriving in your brand new Apex Legends game right now. It’s a virus, we got to shut em down. Alert.” Many people in the Doc’s Twitch Chat immediately sided with the Doc in pleading for the developers to issue some sort of fix. Numerous streamers have captured blatant instances of hacking or aimbotting. But with no anti-cheat system in place, it seems like hackers could get cozy in Apex for a while. Hackers have gotten pretty out of hand in Apex Legends, and it’ll be interesting to see how soon Respawn can implement effective preventative measures.

  • Dr Disrespect shares why he’s burnt out with Apex Legends – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect shares why he’s burnt out with Apex Legends Dr Disrespect / Respawn EntertainmentTwitch streamer Apex Legends after claiming to be “burnt out” with how little there is to explore in the battle royale. Even though the battle pass for Apex Legends’ Season 1 has been announced, players have been growing tired with the game’s lack of content since its initial release. Dr Disrespect has been one of the more consistent streamers playing Apex Legends, but even he couldn’t hold back saying: “Oh man, I’m fucking bored of this game.” Respawn Entertainment’s title exploded onto the scene, amassing over 50 million players within its first two months of being live. But the game hasn’t been able to release much content since to keep its large following satisfied. After getting downed and immediately exiting his match, the Doc was completely despondent from the lack of variety that Apex Legends has been showing as of late. “I’m a little Apex’d out,” Dr Disrespect said. “Not much to the game right now. Not much to it man, done it all. We’ve done it all, we’ve experienced it all in Apex that you could possibly even do and I’m just a little burnt out on it man.” Though the Doc’s regular broadcasts tend to go more than four hours, his current mood toward Apex had him cut the stream to less than three. It’ll be interesting to see how the Two-time will take to the upcoming content offerings for Season 1’s Battle Pass when it drops on March 19.

  • Dr Disrespect breaks his mouse in heated Apex Legends rage: “F***ing game sucks” – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect breaks his mouse in heated Apex Legends rage: “F***ing game sucks” YouTube: DrDisrespectDr Disrespect and Apex Legends rage quits go hand in hand, but having reached his breaking point after a recent eight-hour stream, Doc left his gaming mouse in pieces to close out the broadcast. Despite labeling it as the “most competitive” Battle Royale on the market just days ago, Doc certainly has his issues with Apex Legends. From criticizing its audio to lashing out at its “boring” time to kill in viral outbursts, the two-time has a turbulent relationship with the game to say the least. While many of his Apex streams over the years have led to sudden rage quits, Doc’s August 18 broadcast might take the cake as his most explosive yet. Not only was the game under fire but so too was his mouse as the YouTube star repeatedly smashed it into his desk. Eight and a half hours into his latest stream, Dr Disrespect had clearly reached his breaking point. In the midst of a rapid team fight, one that ultimately didn’t go his way, Doc minimized the game before standing up and slamming his mouse. Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting as Windows alerts flooded his stream, a few seconds passed before Doc smashed the mouse again and erupted. “Great f***ing game,” he yelled. “F***ing game sucks. It’s terrible.” Rather than one specific criticism this time around though, he instead unleashed a barrage of complaints covering all aspects of Apex Legends. “Everything’s a distraction, that’s what it is. Sound effects, explosions, VFX, I’m having a seizure. There’s so much VFX on my screen I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what the fiction of this game is. I have no idea what’s going on. None!” Continuing the rant, he then pivoted to call out Kings Canyon, the BR’s original map. Despite being a popular battleground, Doc wants to see it pulled “out of the game” immediately. After leaving his group chat and closing Apex for good, Dr Disrespect held his mouse in frame and continued to swing it back and forth while signing off. Just for good measure, the broadcast came to a close with one final bang as Doc flinged the once-trusty mouse into his desk again right as he transitioned to the outro screen

  • Dr Disrespect puts “clunky” Apex Legends on blast after new lag issues – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect puts “clunky” Apex Legends on blast after new lag issues Twitch: Dr Disrespect / Respawn EntertainmentDr Disrespect has had a long and storied love-hate relationship with Apex Legends, but it looks like his time with Respawn’s battle royale may be nearing its end, after lag issues plagued the Twitch star’s recent Season 4 stream. Apex Legends has rolled out its new wave of content in Season 4, and while fans have been fairly happy with the new legend and weapons, and the huge change to the title’s usual map, performance issues have overshadowed them all. Respawn rolled out a hotfix to combat some of these changes on Xbox on February 10, but it looks like they have been plaguing gamers across consoles, and not least of all the Doc, who exploded after a stuttering drop resulted in his death. The Two-Time was in the middle of playing Apex Legends as part of his Triple Threat challenge on February 10 when he was caught and killed by an enemy, all while stuttering through the early moments of the game. Of course, in typical Dr Disrespect style, he exploded, taking aim at the well-documented performance issues that have arrived in Season 4. “Get over there!” he yelled in frustration as he tried to jump over a wall multiple times, but was forced back by the stuttering of the server. After his fruitless jumps left him exposed to his opponent, and then killed, he let loose. “I f**king hate this game, I really do!” he yelled, and added that the performance issues were the main reason he was struggling to enjoy Respawn’s character shooter. “It’s such a clunky mess! F**k man. Why would I land there?” He finished off his rant by imitating the slow stutters of the server itself, slamming his fist into his hand. “The server, it’s just going like this—” he yelled, finishing his explosion with a mimicking flourish of slapping the back of his hand. Funnily enough, it seemed like the only thing that calmed him down from his rant was the arrival of his wife. She sat beside him and asked him to keep it cool. “I need to finish the Triple Threat,” he agreed, and returned to the fight. Unfortunately, there was only more gloom waiting for the streamer, as he dropped straight into another game, claiming to have “not lost a beat.” His next drop was equally as unlucky, however, as he copped another L seconds into the match. The Doc’s explosive tirade was far from the only time he’s had a grievance with Apex in recent times either: just last week, the Two-Time Blockbuster video game champion found himself on the wrong end of audio issues too. There’s every chance the star streamer may unload on the battle royale again sometime in the future too—he has admitted Apex “gets [him] more upset than any other game”—and next time he may not have his wife to calm him down. And in the end, the Two-Time may not stick to Apex long after the Season 4 hype dies down again, but other players will, so fingers crossed Respawn takes notice of the performance issues across consoles, and pulls the trigger on more fixes.

  • Dr Disrespect believes Apex Legends is the “hardest” shooter with “very skilled players” – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect believes Apex Legends is the “hardest” shooter with “very skilled players” Dr Disrespect/RespawnDr Disrespect believes Apex Legends is the “hardest” shooter he’s ever played as he is considering making a return to the popular battle royale. As the battle royale and first-person shooter market has continued to grow over the last few years, Dr Disrespect has played pretty much everyone on offer. The Two-Time, who is a former Call of Duty map designer, used to dominate in H1Z1 before moving over to PUBG and Warzone. In all of these, despite a few headaches along the way, he’s climbed to the top of the mountain and some point and cemented himself as one of the toughest players to beat. When it comes to Apex Legends, The Doc has constantly flirted with Respawn’s take on the battle royale genre. He wasn’t overly impressed at first, but recently, he’s knuckled down and even gotten to Masters level. Dr Disrespect says “very skilled” players dominate Apex Legends As the Two-Time has grown increasingly frustrated with Warzone 2 and threatened to quit, even suggesting he may play Valorant in it’s place, there have been fans urging him to return to the Apex Games. Well, it was something brought up on his January 16 stream, as he paid Apex a pretty massive compliment. “It is,” Doc said at first, agreeing with ZLaner’s take that Apex is a “really good” game. “I have to say, that’s the hardest shooter game that the Two-Time back-to-back 93/94 Blockbuster video game champion has ever played. Very skilled players play that game, let’s just say that,” he added. Timestamp of 36:12 With ZLaner claiming that the pair could “easily” make the jump to Predator in Apex, The Doc appeared enthusiastic about that as a smile took over his face. Plenty of fans want to see him hop back on it, there is a goal for him to work towards, so who knows, maybe we’ll see the Two-Time rise up the Apex ranks again before long.

  • Dr Disrespect backflips on viral Apex Legends outburst: “I actually do love this game” – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect backflips on viral Apex Legends outburst: “I actually do love this game” YouTube: Dr Disrespect / Respawn EntertainmentDr Disrespect has moved to set the record straight on his love-hate Apex Legends relationship, after his latest outburst went viral in the battle royale’s community — according to the two-time, he actually has a soft spot for Respawn’s franchise game. “I hate this game… it’s so boring!” It was the outburst that set the Apex Legends fandom alight last weekend after Dr Disrespect shared a clip of him flaming super popular Respawn’s battle royale in a short Twitter video. In it, he claimed “no one wants to watch” the game. He also declared playing the title “makes him want to cry.” No surprise, Apex Legends players were less than impressed. Now, the star YouTube streamer has moved to set the record straight, in a bid to clear any bad air with Apex Legends fans on the eve of Season 10’s release. Dr Disrespect didn’t exactly apologize for his outburst, which also included claims Apex Legends “will never be a top-tier esports title,” and a series of complaints about ‘time to kill.’ He did, however, admit it was a little off-base. “I spoke my mind in the heat of the moment,” he said. “At the time, I was in the heat of the moment in that Apex Legends game, yeah. As you people know, everyone that is actually inside the Arena knows, I’m enjoying myself with Apex Legends. I’m having a good time.” The two-time also revealed that he sees Apex Legends as a “breath of fresh air” in a time where rivals like Warzone and Fortnite are flagging in the gaming scene. The Doc continued by explaining that his iconic streaming outbursts — many of which have gone viral in the past — aren’t because he dislikes those games. In fact, he only lays it on thick for franchises he actually wants to see improve. “If I’m not screaming, I don’t like it,” he claimed. “If I’m there, not yelling about your game, not tweeting it out,” the two-time continued in his August 2 broadcast, “then yeah, I don’t much like that game. “If I’m not there tweeting about Apex, you could tell I don’t actually like the game. If I’m there getting hot and bothered, screaming, then whoo!” On top of that, Dr Disrespect admitted he’s been playing Apex Legends off-stream and is looking forward to sinking his teeth into the Season 10 release. With Seer on the way, as well as new map changes, he’s “getting excited.” Read More: Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence patch notes – “It’ll be fun to get back for Season 10. I actually do love that game. It’s like a breath of fresh air from Warzone. With a new season, character… it’s gonna be good.”

  • Dr Disrespect explains why Apex Legends is turning into H1Z1 – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect explains why Apex Legends is turning into H1Z1 EA / Dr Disrespect TwitchApex Legends might have had one of the most hyped game launches of 2019, but Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect has recently expressed some fears that the game is taking a similar route that eventually doomed once-popular battle royale H1Z1. Apex Legends came out of the gates strong when it launched back in February. but it has significantly cooled off among Twitch streamers and viewers. When it first came out, the game sat atop of the directory for weeks, but now it’s barely hanging on in the top 10. There are a variety of reasons why many of the big streamers have moved away from the title, but Dr Disrespect thinks it’s because the game is giving off some H1Z1 vibes. H1Z1 was once the king of the battle royale genre but competitors like PUBG and Fortnite, along with poor updates from developers, essentially ran the game into the ground and it never recovered. While Apex Legends is certainly far away from reaching this point, Dr Disrespect has outlined a grim future for the game if Respawn continues down this path without making any adjustments. Doc is worried about the future of Apex “It kinda reminds me of the H1Z1 days where people were really disliking how the changes were happening and what the community started turning into,” he said. “I feel like even though Apex’s community isn’t as strong or vibrant as H1Z1’s once was I can feel things are starting to get to a point where people are itching for this game to update.” Additionally, he says the game is still lacking in a number of ways: “Whether it’s content or quality of optimization built around the game from getting rid of hackers to server quality.” With all that said, the Doc doesn’t think things are all bad since he does enjoy playing the game despite its apparent flaws. “I hope EA is noticing that because they are sitting on a fun, fun product,” Doc said. Apex isn’t the only thing being compared to H1Z1 On top of Doc’s comparison of the H1Z1 and Apex, Ninja recently said Fortnite was going down a similar path. “I’m telling you man, they gotta be careful,” Ninja said. “They’re taking on too much at this point and [there are] still so many glitches in the game that have needed to be fixed. Gotta be careful, dude, they’re going down the path of the H1Z1.” H1Z1 has since been rebranded as Z1 Royale, but it hasn’t quite yet brought the players back. Time will tell whether Apex truly does end up going the way of H1Z1, but with a clear roadmap in place for the first year of the game’s life, it’s clear Respawn isn’t ready to give up just yet.

  • Dr Disrespect explains why Apex Legends feels “so terrible” for casual players – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect explains why Apex Legends feels “so terrible” for casual players YouTube: Dr Disrespect / Respawn EntertainmentDr Disrespect claims Apex Legends feels “just so terrible” for casual players who don’t grind it non-stop, due to the battle royale’s movement-heavy gameplay, slow gunplay, and how the two combine in every match. Apex Legends has enjoyed a strong past few weeks, which included a mega Season 11 update, the new Storm Point map, and a totally new character, Ash. Like clockwork, eager gamers from across the internet returned to Apex Legends to try out all the new features the battle royale had to offer. Now, with the season launch disappearing into the distance, many are turning to other flavor-of-the-month titles, like Halo Infinite, CoD Vanguard, and even Battlefield 2042, despite the latter’s tides of problems. The plan for many is to dip into Apex Legends irregularly. Beware anyone planning to drop in and out of the Apex grind across the next few weeks and months though — according to the two-time, it’s not that kind of game. During one his recent streams, Dr Disrespect got onto the topic of returning to Apex Legends after a lengthy break, and claimed it’s one of the toughest games for casual players to “settle back into” after any time away. “Every time I come to this game, before leaving a couple of hours later permanently for months, there’s a big adjustment period. Apex has a totally different feel to it.” There’s two reasons for this, the Doc explained. The first is that while “relearning the game,” players have to adapt to the “flowing momentum” Apex Legends has become renowned for over the past two years. Then, there’s the gunplay, which — by Respawn’s design — is “so different” from any of its battle royale rivals. “Every time you come in, you think, ‘Okay, there’s an adjustment period’. It’s a hard game to drop just into,” he continued. “Tough for anyone playing casually.” The Doc’s complaints about returning to the game don’t mean he hates Apex Legends though. The YouTuber admitted just months ago he “does love that game” and always enjoys dropping back in. “If I’m not screaming about your game, I don’t like it,” the two-time said after fans claimed he hates Apex Legends. “If I’m there, not yelling about your game, not tweeting about it, then yeah I don’t like the game. If I get hot and bothered, like I do with Apex Legends, then yeah I’m digging your game.” Right now though, Dr Disrespect is all Halo, all the time. On Nov. 18, he even made the bold claim 343’s new title is “one big change away from incredible.”

  • Dr Disrespect Apex Legends skin concept turns Fuse into streamer & fans love it – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect Apex Legends skin concept turns Fuse into streamer & fans love it Dr Disrespect/RespawnAn Apex Legends fan has combined Dr Disrespect and Fuse to create a skin idea that would be pretty perfect if Respawn ever chooses to implement creator skins. As battle royales have taken over the streaming landscape, Dr Disrespect has been at the forefront of things as he’s played them all – from PUBG to Apex Legends and H1Z1 to Realm Royale. The Doc, who now streams on YouTube, has managed to make his own mark on a few of the games as well as he’s even gotten his own cosmetics in PUBG, and there’s even a Fortnite skin that bears quite a resemblance to him. With Apex Legends constantly toying with the idea of skins for esports teams, one fan has placed The Two-Time right into the middle of the Apex Games as he’s been combined pretty perfectly with Fuse. The incredible concept comes from Redditor gage_cottle, who has gone all out to turn The Doc into Fuse and keep plenty of nods to his community, on-stream persona, and beyond. The Redditor’s idea would completely transform Apex’s favorite Aussie and give him a Doc-inspired makeover, complete with his bulletproof black mullet, slick daddy mustache, and his one-of-a-kind Google prototype glasses. Of course, you can’t forget the Two-Time’s red vest and military pants either. On top of that, The Doc and Fuse hybrid would also have the skulls of his enemies on by his side, proving that he is, once and for all, the king when it comes to battle royales. There has been plenty of support for the idea from fans, though some questioned if player’s would be allowed to use it on Twitch, seeing as the Doc is still banned from the livestreaming platform. At the end of the day, though, as impressive as the idea is, Respawn would have the final say on adding it – and who knows if they ever dip into the streamer cosmetics market. Though, we’d love to splash the Apex Coins on The-Two Time’s unique look and make enemies feel the love.

  • Does Tom Holland play Apex Legends? Pro streamers troll fans – Dexerto

Does Tom Holland play Apex Legends? Pro streamers troll fans Respawn/YouTube: jacksepticeyeTom Holland might be best known as the latest Hollywood star to bring Spider-Man to the big screen, but rumors are running rampant that he’s also an avid player in the Apex Games. This has left many fans questioning — does Tom Holland play Apex Legends? With his high-energy antics on-screen, we could definitely see Holland channeling his inner Spidey by swinging across World’s Edge as Pathfinder, or zipping around Storm Point as Octane. He has spoken about being a gamer in the past, too. He’s revealed that he’s played in friendly FIFA tournaments with UK rapper Stormzy, so it’s not impossible to believe that he’s loading into Apex when filming wraps up. Unfortunately, though, it’s not looking very likely. Tom Holland on Apex Legends A handful top Apex pros and streamers have posted videos saying that they’re playing with Tom Holland — but it’s actually just a British Apex Legends player that happens to sound slightly similar. Top players such as Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn have even posted videos, such as the one below, simply titled ‘Apex with Tom Holland’ — but unless we’re being duped big time, it’s not real. The issue is, it’s not actually Tom Holland. Instead, it’s GUILD Esports’ Apex pro Horizxon, with many of his peers thinking he sounds exactly like the Spider-Man star. That’s not to say Tom Holland definitely doesn’t play Apex, but as it stands, he’s never confirmed he plays the game. Tom’s work in gaming stretches further than Apex Legends rumors, though. He stars as protagonist Nathan Drake in the new Uncharted movie, based on the popular PlayStation franchise, alongside Mark Wahlberg. Who knows, maybe the two were duo queueing during their downtime?

  • Does Apex Legends support mouse and keyboard on console? – Dexerto

Does Apex Legends support mouse and keyboard on console? Respawn EntertainmentIf you play Apex Legends on console and want to play with a mouse and keyboard, then you really might be better off just moving over to PC, and we’ll explain why. Chances are if you’re a console Apex player you’ve probably heard the argument that playing with a mouse and keyboard is just so much “better” than using a controller, for a variety of reasons. Whether this is true or not, we can’t say, but if you find yourself wanting to try the PC peripherals on a console to improve your play, you’re probably better off spending that time practicing instead. Does Apex Legends support mouse & keyboard on console? So, you have your USB keyboard, your console of choice, and you’re ready to rock and roll. You plug the keyboard into the console, boot up Apex, and…. nothing happens. That’s because Apex Legends does not support mouse and keyboard on console. Other games like Black Ops Cold War and Fortnite do, but simply taking them from your computer and plugging them into your system won’t work with Apex. Can you play Apex Legends with mouse & keyboard on console? There are a number of third-party devices that claim to allow you to hook up a keyboard and mouse to a console, but we can’t suggest using these. For one, they’re seen as pretty scummy and cheap, and two, they come with several other drawbacks. Firstly, there’s the chance of input delay. This might seem crazy, but console games are usually meant to be played with the console’s own controllers. Using a keyboard and mouse on a game that doesn’t support it, along with another device to even make it work, is sure to gum things up just enough to be annoyingly noticeable. Next is the price. You’ve already bought the console and the controller that came with it, so why go out of your way and spend even more money to get a converter you aren’t even sure will work as well? Finally, as we mentioned, if anyone finds out you’re using KBM on console, more than likely you’re going to get flamed for doing so because it’s seen as a questionable move, and considered outright cheating by some. Respawn hasn’t said players will be banned for doing so, but it’s still not a good look. When will Apex Legends have support for mouse & keyboard on console? Respawn hasn’t said anything about adding keyboard and mouse support for Apex Legends on console or even hinted at it before, so there’s no way to tell when, or even if it will even happen in the future. If this changes though, we’ll be the first to let you know.

  • Does Apex Legends Mobile have controller support? – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile is finally available worldwide, and a green signal for potential controller support for the mobile game has already been hinted at. Apex Legends Mobile is the portable iteration of the ever-so-popular fast-paced Battle Royale and is available on both Android and iOS at launch. Although controller support for the game is anticipated by all, it’s not out of the equation at all. In a press event before launch, Apex Mobile devs spoke about the game‘s plans for controller support and their response was quite positive. Here’s everything we know about controller support and accessibility for Apex Legends Mobile. Apex Legends mobile will release on May 17, 2022, worldwide. At the time of writing, there is no concrete date for the addition of controller support. Judging by the developer’s comments, it should arrive at some point in 2022, but always be prepared for a change or delay until an official announcement is made by the developers. Although there are a few reported instances of controllers working with Apex mobile, we would highly recommend against that as it could possibly trigger bugs or violate the user agreement. That’s everything we know about Apex Legends Mobile’s controller support. Until it comes out officially, you may try and get used to the core mechanics of the game when it launches worldwide on iOS and Android on May 17. • Does Apex Legends have skill-based matchmacking? SBMM explained – Dexerto

Does Apex Legends have skill-based matchmacking? SBMM explained Respawn EntertainmentSkill-based matchmaking will always be a contentious topic in online gaming, and the Apex Legends community is no different; but does Respawn’s battle royale use SBMM? Here’s everything you need to know. As every Apex Legends player (and general online gamer) knows, having a competent, communicative team is often the key to success. While, of course, you can recruit friends that you know can pop heads and take names, queueing into a random match is a lot more variable. Sometimes you’ll get teammates that absolutely demolish the competition, or others that, well, don’t. This has led to questions about Apex Legends’ skill-based matchmaking system (SBMM) – and whether it exists in the first place. Here’s everything you need to know about the feature and how it operates in Respawn’s classic battle royale. Skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) is the general term for a system of matching teammates and opponents in an online multiplayer game. Every game is slightly different, but it will often use information like time-played, average score, K/D ration, win/loss ratio and other factors in determining what teammates and opponents you will get in a match. Read More: How many people play Apex Legends? – It is sometimes controversial, as it can lead to the feeling that every match is too hard because all of your enemies are just as good as you. On the other hand, it stops newer or less-skilled players from being put off playing by having to face players way better or more experienced than them. Does Apex Legends have skill-based matchmaking? Yes, Apex Legends does make use of SBMM in order to ensure that players of similar skill levels and experience are partnered up, and face off against enemies of the same level too. SBMM is used both in regular matches and Ranked play. Yes – even in casual matches, without a rank, SBMM is still in use. In Ranked play, it should mean that a Predator player will queue with fellow Predators and Master level players, while Bronze players will be lumped together with others of the same rank. This is not always possible however due to different numbers of players in certain regions, or the number of players online at certain times of day. The higher you progress, the more deadly your opponents become, but equally you’ll be queuing with higher level players to claim the throne. What is your Apex Legends skill rating based on? No matter what anyone tells you, there is no way of knowing exactly how SBMM is calculated in Apex Legends. Respawn, as with most game devs, will never reveal this, because if players know the inner workings of the system, it could be much more easily exploited. However, we can safely assume that there are a number of factors taken into consideration. These might include: Your account level / time-played – Your stats, such as K/D ratio, win/loss ratio, average damage per game – Whether you are playing solo or with a team – How recently you played, or if you have taken a long break – Some players also believe that their recent performances will affect SBMM. For example, if your last game was really easy for you, and you dominated the enemies, you might get slightly tougher opponents in the next match. This is far from proven however, and is simply based on how players feel in certain matches. Is Apex Legends’ SBMM “broken”? Ever since the dawn of Apex Respawn’s SBMM has come under fire for being “broken.” Back in 2019 Lead Competitive Development Manager, Eric ‘Ghost’ Hewitt, noted that “there is indisputable evidence through data that [SBMM] helps out 80-90% of the community with retention for most of those games.” SBMM will become the norm for most MP games, as there is indisputable evidence through data that it helps out something like 80-90% of the community with retention for most of those games… which hurts us 10%’ers, I know. Still though, ours might need some tuning potentially — Eric Hewitt / Ghost (@GH057ayame) November 24, 2019 Of course, the game has come a long way since then, but the devs are still grappling with the SBMM issue. In December, 2021, Ranked Designer Aaron ‘Exgeniar’ L. responded to fan concerns over the system, writing “Pub’s matchmaking can be a bit volatile at times. It’s on my radar.” The developers at Respawn are always trying to keep on top of matchmaking issues, and working on improvements to make matches fairer, and with the best connection. Does Apex Legends use EOMM? There has long been a rumor that Apex Legends uses a different system, called ‘EOMM’ instead of SBMM. EOMM stands for “engagement optimized matchmaking.” This system prioritizes keeping you playing, rather than keeping matches fair and balanced. It was patented by EA, for use in FIFA matchmaking. However, Respawn devs have denied that EOMM is used in Apex Legends, “Apex matchmaking is designed off skill. It’s not literally designed to make you lose, spend, nor play longer.” So that’s everything you need to know about Apex Legends skill-based matchmaking system, and how the devs are potentially amending it in the future. • Does Apex Legends’ Charge Rifle need a change already? – Dexerto

Does Apex Legends’ Charge Rifle need a change already? RespawnApex Legends fans have been debating whether or not the new Charge Rifle needs changing already despite only being in the game since the start of Season Three: Meltdown. After weeks of speculation, teases, and waiting, Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown was finally released on October 1 – taking fans away from the Kings Canyon map that they have come to know and replacing it with World’s Edge. Aside from the new map, a raft of cosmetics, and the new seasonal battle pass, a new weapon was also added to the fold in the form of the Charge Rifle. As the name suggests, it’s a bit different from the usual selection of weaponry, as it needs to be charged up before firing – but having it targeted on an enemy during that targeting phase will deal damage. Yet, it’s become a source of frustration with fans. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user UnicornSaidNo argued that “something needs to change” in regards to the new weapon – be that a nerf in its power, or changing how it spawns in the map. The Redditor stated that they believed the L-Star should be taken away and replaced solely with the Charge Rifle if there aren’t going to make changes to the hitscan, damage while charging, and not having any range drop off. However, they also presented the argument for the other side of things, adding that if their first option wasn’t to be the case, Respawn may want to consider dropping the damage from the charge and then speeding up the time between shots. Others agreed with the Redditor’s thoughts, as Party_McHardy added: “R99 is fine. Charge rifle just needs a damage nerf,” before noting that it shouldn’t be changed to become a weapon that is only available in drops or loot rooms. Another, Jinkuzu, put forward their own idea for a change. “Charge rifle should have a set range here its hitscan works. After like 200M the beam stops,” they commented. Nevertheless, not every player appears to be sold on the idea of making change. Deep in a discussion about the possibilities of nerfing the weapon, user awoodwa, argued that it was pretty balanced in the first place. “Now the charge rifle I’m still unsure about, on one hand it’s strong, but you have to be good at tracking and it has a tiny mag and very slow reload speed,” they added. With Season Three still being, relatively, in its infancy, Respawn Entertainment has not rolled out any sort of update or patch just yet. In previous campaigns, though, they have taken feedback on board and made balancing changes early on – but it remains to be seen if the calls for change will become loud enough to make them sit up and take notice.

  • Do you need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Do you need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play Apex Legends? Apex Legends is a totally free-to-play game on consoles, PC and Nintendo Switch – or is it? If you are on PlayStation or Xbox, you may be wondering if you need PS plus and Xbox Live Gold to play online. The fact that Apex Legends is free to download is one of the biggest reasons for its massive success, allowing it to rival games like Fortnite and Warzone, both of which are also free-to-play. While PC players can just download the game and start playing, PS4 and Xbox One players are often unsure as to whether they need PS Plus and Xbox Live subscriptions to play the game online with friends. Contents Do you need PlayStation Plus to play Apex Legends? PS4 or PS5 players do not need a PS Plus membership to play Apex Legends online. As well as being a free download, anyone who owns a PS4 or PS5 console and wants to dive into Apex Legends, simply requires a standard PlayStation account. Do you need Xbox Live Gold to play Apex Legends? As of April 21, 2021, players on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X no longer need to have an active Xbox Live Gold membership to player Apex Legends, or any free-to-play game for that matter. This wasn’t always the case, as Xbox has notably required a subscription to access all online games in the past, regardless of whether or not that game was free. Everything changed in January 2021 when the company announced that they would no longer be requiring it for free games. As of April 2021, ‘free-to-play now means free-to-play’. • Dizzy’s Apex Legends world record for most kills has been beaten – Dexerto

Dizzy’s Apex Legends world record for most kills has been beaten Twitch streamer MrSimple has beaten the world record for most kills by a single player in Apex Legends, overtaking the previous record of 33 held by NRG player Dizzy. Dizzy set his astonishing world record on February 11, racking up over 5,000 damage to obtain 33 kills – wiping out over half the lobby. It was expected that this record would stand for sometime, but less than a week later it has been beaten by a single kill, with MrSimple pulling off 34 kills, and hitting 6,067 damage in the process. MrSimple wasn’t playing with a set squad at the time either, instead simply heading into the match solo and being matched with two random teammates. Without even communicating with his two randomly matched teammates, MrSimple dropped down into a busy Skulltown, and got to work with a Peacekeeper shotgun. With still half the teams still up, MrSimple had already racked up 15 kills, and was well on his way to breaking the record. He continued to stomp the entire lobby, ending with 34 and the jaw dropping damages stats. It’s a remarkable individual gameplay, and one that could give MrSimple a boost in his streaming ambitions, as it has done for Dizzy. Dizzy’s impressive performances even saw him pair up with top streamers Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and KingRichard for the Apex Legends Twitch Rivals and Code Red tournaments – winning both. You can see the full list of Apex Legends world records so far here. For console, the record for most kills by a single player is at 29, by Casdg_. Dizzy, and many other top Apex Legends players, will now be out to claim this world record for most kills by a single player, but it will be no easy feat.

  • Dizzy shows off genius Arcstar trick with Pathfinder in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Dizzy shows off genius Arcstar trick with Pathfinder in Apex Legends Dizzy/RespawnApex Legends star Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows showed off a neat trick to finish off enemy players by using his teammate as a sacrificial lamb after he’d done some of the heavy lifting already. While he may have retired from being a professional Apex Legends player back in December, Dizzy hasn’t strayed away from the game – continuing to play it on his Twitch stream, wowing fans with his ridiculously high-level gameplay. The former NRG member attracts thousands of viewers who watch him dive into World’s Edge, picking up numerous victories on a daily basis. Watching such a talented player is a pretty surefire way to pick up some clever tips and tricks that can be translated into games of your own, and that was no different with Dizzy’s newest trick. During his February 1 stream, the popular battle royale player had been on his way to picking up another victory when he and his squad mates decided to have a little fun with the final player they had to take down. Instead of using some sort of meme tactic involving all of his teammates, Dizzy stuck the one of them playing as Pathfinder with an Arcstar and sent them to zipline right on top of the final enemy. While doing so, the popular streamer used his pinpoint accuracy to rip the enemy of their health points, leaving them with just enough that they would fall to their death as soon as his grenade finally exploded. Of course, it worked to perfection and Dizzy racked up yet another victory in Apex, but it was his quick-thinking to send a teammate with an explosive attached to them into battle that really stole the show. Now, while pretty clever, the tactic probably isn’t going to work 100% of the time – especially if you can’t nail an enemy with pinpoint accuracy like Dizzy can. Yet, it will be pretty interesting to see if other high-level players follow in his footsteps.

  • Dizzy calls for Apex Legends to remove SBMM in casual modes – Dexerto

Dizzy calls for Apex Legends to remove SBMM in casual modes Popular Apex Legends player, Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows, has called for the removal of SBMM from the standard ‘Play Apex’ playlist in Respawn’s battle royale. Skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) has caused quite a stir across multiple online games — most recently among the Call of Duty and Apex Legends faithful. While the notion of SBMM in a competitive first-person shooter is somewhat understandable, having it at the core of your multiplayer experience – in a game that revolves around ‘survival of the fittest’ – is another facet altogether. Mere days after announcing his withdrawal from professional Apex Legends, dizzy has made his pitch for SBMM to be removed from casual modes within Respawn’s battle royale. Meadows’ Tweet simply reads: “Remove SBMM from the ‘Play Apex’ playlist please,” which was lapped up by his following. Albeit a simple message, dizzy’s thoughts run parallel to the community — which has previously stated that SBMM is ruining their multiplayer experience. Meadows has now turned his hand to content creation, which will (for the most part) revolve around catering for a casual player base. However, should SBMM remain at the root of Apex Legends’ player selection, then dizzy will likely find himself grinding through matches as though they were Ranked games, which takes away from the ‘pub stomping’ aspect of gameplay which his fanbase tune-in for time after time. Apex Legends’ rival battle royale, Fortnite, has encountered similar issues with SBMM. FaZe Thiefs reflected a similar sentiment to the Apex Legends’ community, in that a skill-based player filtering system is “ruining” the game, as it removes the fun aspect of gameplay. While it is understandable why content creators and plenty of players want SBMM to be removed, a dev from Respawn aptly detailed why it caters for a large proportion of the game’s playerbase. Eric ‘Ghost’ Hewitt explained that “there is indisputable evidence (through data) that it helps out something like 80-90% of the community with retention,” while the remaining 20-10% can suffer. Although this system seems logical to implement (as it makes player matchmaking more consistent and engaging), those looking to casually pub-stomp will no longer be able to do so, as they’ll be matched against players of a similar skill level (based on the algorithm’s calculations). By this same logic, SBMM will likely take away from the very essence of Ranked matches. Since it looks like skill-based filtering is here to stay, there appears to be a need to define the bounds of how ‘strict’ the system categorizes players, in order to retain 100% (and not just the majority) of the game’s playerbase.

  • Dizzy brutally punishes Apex Legends player for abandoning his teammates – Dexerto

Dizzy brutally punishes Apex Legends player for abandoning his teammates Apex Legends pro Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows hilariously made an example of a player who abandoned their squad mate in the heat of a battle. Apex Legends tasks a team of three to survive in a lobby of 60 players in order to be the last ones standing. When dizzy saw a player retreat without their team, the 18-year-old pro took exception to the desertion. Dizzy and his team were up against the final squad in an Apex match. After clearing out two of the three members on the last team, dizzy pieced together what had happened to the third. “Like you ditch your teammate and runaway and die. Why,” dizzy surmised. When the search for the last opponent ended in Skull Town, the NRG pro was baffled at the player’s decision to run. His confusion turned into a blistering critique and subsequent punishment for the deserter. “I would never let my teammate down, I’d be by his side. Honestly, I feel like just punching this guy to death. Honest, I am. Cause of what he did. I don’t care if he has purple armor. That’s what you get for leaving your teammate,” dizzy said. Dizzy was saying all this as he nonchalantly ducked and evaded the opponent’s weapon fire. Even as he took two point blank shots, dizzy was adamant in melee killing his enemy. After seven blows, dizzy eliminated the deserter and secured the win for his squad. It seems like dizzy was a little proud of himself saying: “that’s what he gets, you don’t leave your team behind.”

  • Disguised Toast signs Apex Legends roster ahead of ALGS Championship – Dexerto

Disguised Toast signs Apex Legends roster ahead of ALGS Championship Reece Martinez/Riot GamesPopular content creator Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang has expanded his esports project’s portfolio with the signing of a North American Apex Legends team. The roster will compete at the upcoming ALGS Championship. As the Apex Legends world rumbles on toward the ALGS Championship, one of the best unsigned rosters that have qualified for the season-ending tournament has found a home. Dudes Night Out (DNO), which finished second in North America’s last-chance qualifier, will be playing under Disguised’s banner at the ALGS Championship, Toast’s esports organization announced on Tuesday. All of the team’s members have competed at the highest level in the Apex Legends scene. Adam ‘senoxe’ Lau and Trenton ‘lou’ Clements both played under Sentinels’ banner, with the latter having also represented FlyQuest, Complexity, and CLG. After playing for Esports Arena, Ira ‘dooplex’ Shepherd signed with OpTic Gaming, with whom he placed 4th at the ALGS 2022 Split 2 Playoffs. On Twitter, Toast joked that his new esports strategy is to secure rosters that have already qualified for world championships. “It saves me six months of stress,” he said. The Apex Legends squad adds to Disguised’s esports portfolio, which also includes a men’s League of Legends squad and a women’s Valorant team. The LoL team recently won Split 2 of the NACL, North America’s tier two competition. In a recent interview with Dexerto, Toast expressed his frustration with Riot’s closed League of Legends circuit, which hinders the growth of non-franchise teams like his. “It’s not super friendly for amateur orgs to have bigger aspirations,” he said. The ALGS Championship will take place from September 6 through 10 in Birmingham, UK, with 40 trios competing for $2 million in prize money. Disguised have been placed in Group A, alongside teams like TSM, OpTic, Sentinels, Fnatic, and Oxygen.

  • Disguised Toast planning massive $100k Apex Legends event, but with a twist – Dexerto

Disguised Toast planning massive $100k Apex Legends event, but with a twist Respawn Entertainment/YouTube: Disguised ToastTwitch streamer Disguised Toast is planning a huge $100k Apex Legends event but instead of running the typical battle royale format, he’s making it a giant game of hide & seek. Whether it’s Kings Canyon, Olympus, Worlds Edge, or even the new Storm Point, Apex Legends players are always interested in finding unique vantage points and hiding spots. While these locations are fun to discover, they’re usually only useful in specific scenarios, like the later stages of a match or as an escape route from an enemy squad. Well, content creator Disguised Toast is looking to change this and instead make them the main attraction of a special event. Calling out to other popular streamers on Twitter, he’s asked if anyone wants to take part in a $100k Apex Legends hide & seek competition. Disguised Toast wants to host $100k Apex hide & seek event Typically, an Apex Legends event with a prize pool pits highly-skilled pros or streamers against each other to see which of the squads is best at the battle royale format. Disguised Toast has decided to break the mold and instead, replace the gunskill with a game of hide & seek. Taking to Twitter on November 28, Toast asked if any streamers were interested in taking part in the hide & seek event. Although he’s not shared any specific details, Toast’s tweet has certainly generated a lot of excitement and responses from big Twitch personalities. https://twitter.com/DisguisedToast/status/1464807516739571723 A range of content creators including Sweet Anita, Nokokopuffs, minx, Snip3down, and even Sykkuno all replied expressing their interest in taking part. With so many streamers excited to be involved, there’s definitely going to be some competition for the most well-known hiding spots, let’s just hope no one uses the invisible room on Storm Point. For now, it’s just a case of waiting for Toast to share more details on the event and the specific rules that the game of hide & seek will follow. Either way, with $100k on the line, you can guarantee Pathfinder, Horizon, and Valkyrie are going to be popular picks for streamers looking to find the number one hiding spot. • Did Shroud hint at the release date for Apex Legends Season One? – Dexerto

Did Shroud hint at the release date for Apex Legends Season One? Popular streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek might have hinted at when Apex Legends’ Season One will be starting. Much like Fortnite, which set the standard for battle royale games in many ways, Apex Legends will have a continuous schedule of new content broken up into “seasons”. The first of these seasons is expected to kick off in March, but a precise date has not yet been announced by Respawn Entertainment, leaving fans to wonder whether the launch of Season One is days or weeks away. Read more: How to watch $25,000 Code Red Apex Legends tournament ft Dr Disrespect, dizzy, and more – streams, bracket, format, teams – During a recent stream, however, Shroud may well have let slip that the season could be starting almost immediately. During a stream on February 28, Shroud suggested that the update could arrive as soon as March 1, before repeating rather suspiciously that he had “no knowledge.” “I’m excited for the update for this game. Just wait, if it comes out tomorrow, it might, who knows, they might surprise you. I have no idea, I don’t know anything, I have no knowledge, I’ve never played this game before. Ever.” It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Shroud does in fact have insider knowledge about the upcoming Apex Legends season. Not only was he one of several popular streamers invited to play the game before release, he even claims to have directly influenced the game by suggesting a change to the weapon recoil that Respawn Entertainment ultimately implemented. It’s entirely possible, then, that Shroud’s relationship with the Apex developers has let him in on exactly when the first season should be expected. While Respawn Entertainment haven’t gone into a huge amount of detail about Apex Legends’ first season, some details are known. The season will introduce new weapons, new loot, new Legends, and a battle pass that will offer access to additional cosmetics and Apex Legends packs. Each season is expected to last approximately three months. Leaks have revealed “Octane” as a future Legend, and he appears likely to be one of the first new additions to the game’s roster. The L-STAR light machine gun was also leaked alongside the Havoc rifle, which has already been added to the game, so the L-STAR can be expected to join along with the new season. Apex Legends has already smashed several player records, passing 25 million players just a week after the game’s launch, and the addition of new content less than a month after the games launch is likely to help keep the game on the incredible trajectory it’s followed so far.

  • Did the name of a new Apex Legends character get leaked? – Dexerto

Did the name of a new Apex Legends character get leaked? Respawn EntertainmentThe name of a brand new Apex Legends character appears to have been found by dataminers searching through in-game sound files. A well-known dataminer The Gaming Merchant discovered a few audio files for a legend named “Buddy”. Two files in particular, “buddy_land_slime_3p” and “buddy_sprint_slime_3p” sound like a character landing in water and splashing. Other file names mentioning Buddy by name are titled “buddy_crouch_brokenglass” “buddy_crouch_brush”, and “buddy_crouch_concrete”. Unfortunately, all we have to go on is the title names. So we can’t make wild speculation about abilities as no character model was found by the dataminer. Apex Legends has had a history of data-mined leaks. Most notably, data miners were able to discover the existence of then-unreleased legends Wattson and Octane when they realized their names were in a number of in-game files. Data miner @That1MiningGuy uncovered a sound file called “AB_MIST_SPIDERS” that sounds like spiders, hinting that giant spiders will be coming to the game. Respawn’s community manager, JayFresh, has responded to potential leaks in the past. “There’s lots of stuff that has been datamined from Apex since launch and is swirling around the Internet. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth,” he said in a Reddit post on March 12, 2019. “There’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut–remember our design process is to prototype and play lots of ideas–and some of it may be things we’re still building for Apex Legends. Finding this stuff by no means confirms that it’ll ever come out.” It’s possible then at the files for Buddy could be related to something in internal testing never intended to be released.

  • Did Apex Legends tease a new map in the Season 6 trailer? – Dexerto

Did Apex Legends tease a new map in the Season 6 trailer? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have suspected that a new map might be coming after the quest ending in Season 5, and some thing that Respawn teased it again in the official ‘Boosted’ launch trailer for Season 6. Following the introduction of the World’s Edge in Season 3, players have been playing on both the new arena and the classic Kings Canyon map. However, there has been never-ending speculation about a third map, and Respawn might have left some clues in the Season 6 trailer. Will Apex Legends Season 6 have a new map? While there has been plenty of major map changes in recent seasons, such as the destruction of Skulltown, fans have been eager for a new arena to keep the game fresh. The Season 6 launch trailer, released on August 6, confirmed the arrival of a new character Rampart, and gave us a brief look at the surroundings heading into the next chapter. One of the key clues was the ‘Hammond Robotics’ rocket ship that seemed to be ready for launch on the World’s Edge map, as seen right at the start in the trailer below. The action in the trailer was actually played in reverse, meaning that the initial clip of the rocket would’ve have been the last clip shown. While nothing seemed to come out of the original teaser in Season 5, Apex fans have their hopes up, once again, that a new map could arrive in the next season.

  • Apex Legends players think they’ve spotted first Season 4 teaser – Dexerto

Apex Legends players think they’ve spotted first Season 4 teaser The very first teaser for Apex Legends Season 4 may have just crashed landed in World’s Edge, after players noticed what appeared to be a burning meteor fly through the center of Capitol City before impacting on the side of a building. With Apex’s third season winding down, and the excitement of Crypto’s release and the move to World’s Edge well and truly worn off, players are keeping their eyes peeled for the next teaser that could kick-start the game’s new event. After a few false starts surrounding a glitched notification and an image of World’s Edge’s skyhook potentially in peril was shot down by Respawn devs, it seems like something more tangible — and hot — may have just crash-landed. Is the mysterious projectile a meteor? The short in-game clip, captured by Reddit user ‘TTeeckCorba’ and shared on January 9, appears to show a burning meteor come flying out of the right side of the screen, before exploding into one of the buildings in Capitol City. The real question is: was it really a meteor? There’s every chance it could be another one of the multitudes of bugs plaguing the battle royale at the moment, which has seen everything from disappearing maps to invincible characters. The meteor’s tail does look similar to the missiles fired by Bangalore and Gibraltar’s ultimates, leading some to suggest it could be rogue projectiles from those abilities that have made their way to where TTeeckCorba was looting. This theory is helped by the fact a Gibraltar ult appears to be rumbling in the distance, but considering how quickly the explosive projectile flies into frame and detonates, others aren’t so sure it could have traveled that far between the time the noise appeared, and the detonation. According to another Apex player in the Reddit thread, however, this isn’t a one-off event — they’ve seen the apparent meteor strike twice before, also in Capitol City, but they haven’t recorded the incident because they didn’t quite believe it. “Glad you captured it,” ‘CSEnzley’ said, and admitted other meteors have landed. “I’ve seen it twice in this area but always convinced myself it was something else just acting in a strange way. This settles it though, it’s something different for sure.” Other players agreed it couldn’t have been an ult ability gone rogue. One keen Apex fan, ‘Ghost-Of-Nappa,’ even listened to the sounds a few times, and concluded it was “definitely not a Gibraltar ult” because of the lack of “horn indicating the start,” and “no further explosive sounds indicating a lingering ult.” They also added it couldn’t have been a Gibraltar missile hitting an Octane launch pad because of the “perfectly straight trajectory,” and added “items bounced off the pad are affected by gravity and will arc [but] the tail of the meteor is perfectly straight. I’m fairly certain this is a new event.” Could Season 4’s teaser be right around the corner? If the footage from TTeeckCorba, and the added information from CSEnzley, is legitimate, the meteor could well be a precursor for something more. Towards the end of Season 2, mysterious hacker Crypto began appearing across King’s Canyon, digitally altering player banners, breaking computers, and generally just running riot across the game’s original map. In the end, it turned out he was trying to take the Apex Games to another world, an objective he succeeded with at the turn of the season. Season 2 swung into Season 3, and players landed in World’s Edge for the ‘Meltdown’ era. Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time a potential meteor strike has been teased in a modern battle royale either, with genre-titan Fortnite wiping popular drop-spot Dusty Depot off the map in an event at the end of their own third season in 2018. Players will also be wondering how the crash could tie into the game’s leaked new character Revenant, the creepy mastermind behind the Shadowfall LTM. While the simulacrum brought zombies into Apex, meteors don’t seem quite up his alley. What is coming in Apex Legends Season 4? Whether or not the meteor is tied to Revenant, or any of the other characters that have been data-mined and leaked, and whether the meteor is real, players can expect the Season 4 teasers to start soon, with Season 3 nearly over. According to Respawn, Season 4 is set to begin on Tuesday, February 4, exactly a year after the shock release of the character-based battle royale. The game’s much-maligned third season is expected to end around the same time. As well as the new legend joining the Apex Games, players can expect a number of new weapons, including the recently data-mined Volt SMG, and the CAR SMG, both of which first started life in Respawn’s Titanfall series. For now, however, players will have to wait with bated breath to see if Respawn weighs in on the meteor. They were quick to damn the glitched banner on Wednesday, so they may condemn this one to the “bug” realm too. If they don’t say anything though, their potential silence could be deafening — if it really is the beginning of Season 4’s in-game changeover event, they may not want to ruin the surprise until more players have seen the meteor fly by in the sky.

  • Devious Apex Legends trap sentences players to Caustic’s “Hellevator” – Dexerto

Devious Apex Legends trap sentences players to Caustic’s “Hellevator” Respawn EntertainmentA new variation for a classic trap in Apex Legends essentially condemns players to a fuming death at the hands of Caustic and Wraith, and it’s so brutal some players have taken to calling it the “Hellevator.” Ever since Season 1 on Kings Canyon, Caustic mains have been devising ways to conceal players in a confined area long enough for their Nox Gas Traps to slowly and mercilessly eliminate opponents. The most prevalent example was located in Bunker back on Solace. But the creative members of the Apex community constantly find new ways to create these gaseous enclosures for others to walk into. Putting their disturbing imagination to work, Reddit user ‘whataboi_rd’ and co’s creation used the typical bait of Wraith’s Dimensional Rift to lure an unsuspecting opponent to the other end. Having caught the attention of the Bloodhound, they were whisked away to another location, dropping the Technological Trapper and Wraith from a high-beam structure just outside of the Train Yard. Moments before, Wraith dropped down from that perch while activating her ult, forcing anyone who came through to spawn in mid-air and dropdown. (Warning: Loud audio) At the base, five Nox Gas Traps were lined up on two of the tower’s four sides – sectioning off the lone opponent while Wraith and her teammate enclosed them from the other end. “I got some of my friends to help me set up traps and bait people into them,” whataboi said in his YouTube video’s description. “This is by far the best way to play Apex Legends.” Read More: Best landing spots in Apex’s Deja Loot mode – Dubbing their trap the “Hellevator,” whataboi_rd applied the same structure to other locations on World’s Edge. One of them was an adaptation of the “Bunker 2.0” technique that was popular with the Apex community. Though their execution was successful, the follow-through was a little botched with a lack of coordination among the chaos. But the effects were still the same. Use a Wraith to leave a portal in mid-air to throw off the opponents and immediately rain down gunfire on them as soon as they’re debilitated from the Nox Gas. Since this strategy is bound to get traction with Caustic mains, Apex Legends player should be wary of a lone Wraith trying to bait you into a portal — who knows what kind of devious traps could be waiting at the other end.

  • Apex Legends dev responds to calls to region lock China to stop cheaters – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev responds to calls to region lock China to stop cheaters An Apex Legends developer has confirmed that more will be done to crack down on cheaters, but region locking China isn’t as simple as it seems. Apex Legends has exploded in popularity since entering the saturated battle royale market in February – amassing a huge player base across the globe that can compete with Fortnite. As with any in-demand game, some players will try to gain an unfair advantage on the battlefield, and China is particularly prominent for hackers and cheaters – PUBG were forced to region lock users in the country in order to remove a wave of exploiters back in October 2018. With hackers still ruining the gaming experience for many on Apex Legends, there have been calls for Respawn Entertainment to do the same, which would stop players from quitting the game due to the hackers. Nevertheless, one of the game’s developer confirmed on Reddit that while more methods to stop cheaters are in the works, it will be a constant battle to ensure fairness among their player base. The developer also revealed that region locking China would not solve the problem of hackers on the Asian servers as the game isn’t even officially released there. It’s likely that players are using one or multiple VPN’s in order to gain access to the game – meaning region locking won’t solve the issue at hand as cheaters will continue to bypass the ban on their IP address. It seems that Apex Legends players in Asia will be forced to deal with the cheaters for the time being, with Respawn giving no further update when more anti-cheat methods will be introduced. Given the popularity of the game and the lucrative nature of the Asian market, developers should be doing all they can to come up with a solution as soon as possible.

  • Devastating Apex Legends combo is perfect for Ash and Bangalore – Dexerto

Devastating Apex Legends combo is perfect for Ash and Bangalore Respawn EntertainmentAn insane combo in Apex Legends gives the most daring players a way to get the jump on their opponents by using Bangalore’s underrated tactical and Ash’s ultimate ability. The battle royale’s characters have a very focused set of moves each that can open up the game for different styles of play. This has given rise to surprising popular picks in the past, and meta-defining tactics in some cases. Now that level of success doesn’t always come with every Legend combo that’s discovered, but sometimes it can get people thinking more about how they can use their character in fun new ways. For the unsuspecting squad, Ash players can actually get off a really powerful ult to effectively gank opponents if used with a timely smoke from Bangalore. A popular clip from user ‘Baz1cTricks’ shows how to use Ash’s Phase Breach in the most aggressive way possible to get the jump on a squad. Facing off in the last circle, the team smoked off the Hammond Labs Maintenance entrance just before popping batteries for the ensuing push. Moments later, Ash ulted into the smoke, creating a portal on the other side. Going through the breach landed the team behind the opposing players, who were too preoccupied shooting into the smoke where they expected the team to be. That instantly gave Ash and her teammates the advantage to quickly mop up the trio who were still looking the other way. Now, your mileage may vary, but Bang can put up a wall that will keep the enemy’s attention while your team plans the perfect jump. Like the video shows, it’s best to have a tight corridor where you can hold the other players’ attention. While the jump itself is a risk should the other team be aware of the play, it has a huge potential to land easy kills.

  • Details and images leaked for Lifeline’s new Apex Legends Heirloom set – Dexerto

Details and images leaked for Lifeline’s new Apex Legends Heirloom set An Apex Legends data miner seems to have uncovered a new Heirloom item for Lifeline in the game’s files. Heirlooms are ultra rare sets of cosmetic items in Apex Legends that can’t be crafted or purchased normally in the shop. The only way to unlock Heirloom items is to open a ton of loot boxes, and there’s less than a one percent chance that players will unlock it while opening them, which makes the items incredibly rare. So far only Wraith and Bloodhound have Heirloom sets available, but it looks like Lifeline will be next in line to get her very own. How do we know Lifeline’s Heirloom is next? Apex data miner That1MiningGuy shared the information on Lifeline’s Heirloom item that they found in the game’s files on Twitter. “Confirmed Lifeline heirloom is next during the Halloween Event,” That1MiningGuy posted on Twitter, along with an image of the information they had found. The Heirloom will be able to be unlocked for no additional cost during the Fight or Fright Halloween event, after players collect and unlock all of the 224 event cosmetics. Data miners have been hard at work pouring through Apex’s game files since the Season 3 update dropped and besides a new Heirloom, they’ve discovered a new game mode that takes place on a night version of King’s Canyon. “Shadowfall” as the new LTM (Limited Time Mode) is known, was also leaked by That1MiningGuy and is an interesting twist on the popular solos mode. “Solo Legends fight to the death but with a dark twist – when Legends die, they are reborn on the “Shadow Squad”, an ever-growing faction of dark Legends who return from the dead to haunt their living counterparts with increased mobility and brutal melee attacks. The last 10 Living Legends will join forces to try to escape while the Shadow Squad attempts to stop them at all costs.” One of the halloween modes. pic.twitter.com/KUZRNtIuWh — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) October 1, 2019 There’s no official release date for the Halloween event or Lifeline’s new Heirloom set just yet, but since it’s a holiday event, we could see it drop in the latter half of October. It’s worth noting that the event itself and the Heirloom set haven’t been confirmed yet, so these leaked game files are subject to change.

  • Deaf Apex Legends players call for simple feature to make game more accessible – Dexerto

Deaf Apex Legends players call for simple feature to make game more accessible Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are calling for a simple accessibility feature that would help deaf people navigate the battle royale with visual cues. The idea would introduce a new toggle option for players which would show an active directional indicator on the screen to let players know where a sound is coming from. A tracker like this would be able to pick up noises from opponents and grenades in the vicinity and even have a detection system for vertical environments. Though there are concerns about the feature being used or abused by non-deaf players, it would go a long way to add a new type of detection for players who can’t rely on sound. Apex Legends accessible options for deaf players Hey @PlayApex @EA @Respawn I wish always that there would be accessibility we like apex but hard for no audio when does support for deaf people finally come? fortnite has been around for a long time and apex where? Please retweet for me and deaf people world thank you 🤟🏻😊 pic.twitter.com/r2GmJYo17u — Tobiwuerfel11 (@Tobiwuerfel11) January 9, 2022 A mock-up by Twitter user ‘Tobiwuerfel11’ is inviting a ton of feedback for how a deaf accessibility option could look like in Apex. The concept incorporates a three-step design for sound direction, sound level, and sound type. Different colors would give players a quick way to determine how close or far a sound is from them. Depending on what is causing the sound, be it a player or grenade, the indicator would have a different icon that would clue in the user of what’s around them. Games like Fortnite already have accessibility options like this that show where sounds are coming from. Some in the Apex community want to see Respawn Entertainment release their version of it. Meanwhile, there’s hesitation from other players who think a feature like this would be used to get a competitive advantage over others. “Even people with perfect hearing use this option in Fortnite because of the advantage it provides,” one person said. “It’s not good for the game” Respawn would have to navigate how to correctly implement the feature but there are growing calls from people who want to see more options for deaf Apex Legends players in the game.

  • Deadly Apex Legends Thermite combo makes Caustic’s Nox Gas overpowered – Dexerto

Deadly Apex Legends Thermite combo makes Caustic’s Nox Gas overpowered Respawn EntertainmentA deadly combo with Apex Legends’ Caustic perfectly combines the character’s suffocating Nox Gas with the explosive firestorm of Thermite grenades to overwhelm enemy teams. With almost a year in the books for Respawn’s battle royale, players have been refining their tactics with the game’s diverse roster of Legends – with some people creating a wild plays using everything from Gibraltar to Crypto’s drone. Even more impressive are the ways these plays can really shake up a battlefield for a team, giving them immense pressure that leads to quick kills and major loot. In a Reddit post, user ‘BigPapa-Mullins’ cooked up a storm by perfectly utilizing Caustic’s toxic ability kit. But what really threw off their foes was the timely use of Thermites to turn up the heat in the prison of poisonous plumes. “Nothing better than being Caustic in a tunnel fight,” they said, showing off a two-minute gameplay clip that plays out like an epic Hollywood scene between two warring factions. Knowing teams were about to push on them, the player tossed out the disorienting Nox Gas Grenade to give the Toxic Trapper ample room to maneuver in. When the foes pushed up, that’s when BigPapa-Mullins set the Mining Pass ablaze with two Thermites to create a hold that prevented the other team from advancing while cutting off their escape. The trap was set. The tunnels turned into a hellish backdrop and, soon after, the killfeed lit up with Papa Mullin’s name. After the first fight, another team was already lining up to contest the player and their squad, so Caustic went back to perfect his set up. By placing out a Nox trap in the middle of the open, it looked like the enemies were prepared to keep pushing, feeling safe that they knew where the threat was located. Caustic responded by putting another trap behind an obstruction. When a blinded enemy Octane pushed past the first one, it looked like they were unaware another trap had activated, extending the coverage from the AoE ability. But Octane couldn’t clear the gas entirely because another thrown Thermite blocked his path. It’s these kind of synergies that Apex Legends players should take note of in case they find themselves incorporating it into their tactics or simply defending against it.

  • Deadly Apex Legends Gravity Cannon bug is killing unsuspecting players – Dexerto

Deadly Apex Legends Gravity Cannon bug is killing unsuspecting players Respawn EntertainmentA strange Apex Legends bug ended one player’s match after they were unexpectedly launched into the storm by a Gravity Cannon. Apex Legends’ Season 11 map, Storm Point, introduced players to the Gravity Cannon which launches players across the map at high speeds. While Gravity Cannons can be extremely helpful in certain situations they don’t always work as intended. Now, one player experienced a deadly bug surrounding the Gravity Cannon that unexpectedly ended their game early. Apex Legends Gravity Cannon bug kills player The bug comes from Reddit user alex1inferno, who posted a brief clip of the incident on the Apex Legends subreddit. The video shows a solo Vantage player leaping across Storm Point after a fight. Unfortunately, they’re spotted by enemy players right after using Vantage’s Echo tactical ability. While attempting to use the underside of a Gravity Cannon to take cover and heal, the Cannon starts up and launches the player directly into the storm, despite being nowhere near the launch pad. Tragically, the Vantage player could do nothing as they hurtled into the storm and died, losing the game. According to some commenters on the thread, this isn’t an isolated incident either. “I’ve had this happen twice in back to back games on the other side of the grab cannon. Shoots you up and backwards lmao.” Another user called ErnieDaChicken also experienced a similar bug and said, “This happened to me and a teammate as well in end game of ranked… definitely no longer utilizing cannons as cover.” However, one player thinks it may just be that specific Gravity Cannon that’s bugged. “This one is bugged, and will do this. Don’t take cover behind it like this. Had to yell at my buddy to avoid this, he thought I was crazy.” Whether or not this is an issue with all of Storm Point’s Gravity Cannons remains to be seen, but hopefully, Respawn can provide a fix for the issue soon before more players end up launching themselves to their doom.

  • Datamined Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash clip reveals Mirage lore – Dexerto

Datamined Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash clip reveals Mirage lore A new data mined audio clip from the upcoming Apex Legends holiday event provides some new lore for everyone’s favorite holographic trickster Mirage. Leaks for an upcoming Apex event called the “Holo-Day Bash” began popping up in the first week of December 2019, and they included a look at a new LTM hosted by none other than Mirage. There are also a ton of new skins included in the event – and before you ask, yes, a new Mirage skin was indeed found with the leaks. My mirage never gets love pic.twitter.com/Fc1lJbMBfg — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) December 3, 2019 Along with all of that, the trickster also has a ton of new voice lines, which makes sense if he’s going to be hosting his own game mode during the Holo-Day Bash. Apex Legends leaker and data miner iLootGames followed the week up with a new audio clip of Mirage calling his mom. “Hey, well if it isn’t the most beautiful woman in the world? I mean, I have to get my good looks from somewhere,” the legend quips in the most Mirage way imaginable. “How you doin’ Mom?” The call starts out as any between a mother and her endearingly overconfident son would, and he informs her that he’ll be personally taking over the games for the holidays – but also reveals a potentially sadder side of the legend’s backstory. “It makes sense, you know – I mean, give the fine people of the Outlands what they want, right?” Mirage tells “Momrage” (sorry). “Yeah, yeah that’s right Mom, I-I’m your son, Elliot. Yeah! Yeah, of course, I’ll win for you today, always for my number one fan.” We don’t hear the other end of the exchange at all, but Mirage does sound uncharacteristically sad during the whole thing – but whether it’s just a complicated family relationship or something else remains unknown. Even though we got a dropship worth of leaks in the first week of December, a release date for the Holo-Day Bash event wasn’t included in any of them. Still, the event definitely seems to be Christmas/holiday themed, so a release date sometime before the end of December is probably a little more than likely.

  • Data shows most popular Apex Legends drop locations – Dexerto

Data shows most popular Apex Legends drop locations Graphics: Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players can choose to start wherever they want in Kings Canyon to begin every game and a new study reveals not only the most popular destinations, but potentially the best places to land as well. An automatic tracking tool has been recording data for over 120,000 different games of Apex Legends and has provided some interesting results, especially when comparing the popular points of interests from both Season 1 and Season 2. While there appears to have been a clear frontrunner last time out, the new season seems to have brought about some more variety in terms of where people are choosing to kick off matches. Seasoned veterans of the battle royale game will know that Skull Town has long been one of the hottest places to drop, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore. At least, at the time of writing. The study, which was published on August 6 and posted to Reddit by user ZYy9oQ, shows that Market, Water Treatment, The Cage, and even The Pit have all increased in popularity. As seen in the maps below, there is a clear difference in player decision making since the second season got underway – in both ranked and unranked play. Season 1 never included ranked play, though, so there cannot be a direct comparison drawn there. There is also a heat map for Season 2’s unranked game mode, however, which shows a much less drastic a change – as seen below. We’ve also included the actual map as well, so you can see the locations that are currently the most popular. While these results don’t particularly show players where is best to land in Apex Legends, by definition, it certainly could give them an idea of where they’re most likely to encounter instant action. Or, alternatively, perhaps more time to loot without being disturbed. Read More: Apex Legends finally gets a solo mode – There are a plethora of options to pick from, so whether you would like to land closer to flyers, zip lines, or even the leviathans, there’s bound to be something for you. In fact, the results here show that more people are venturing off and claiming some of the lesser locations as their starting points as time goes on. Who knows, Season 3 might make Slum Lakes the best pick…

  • Apex Legends data miner leaks first look at Ranked Mode rewards – Dexerto

Apex Legends data miner leaks first look at Ranked Mode rewards respawnNew data mined Apex Legends leaks have revealed a first look at some of the Season 2 rewards for Ranked mode. Apex Legends ranked has been extremely popular since its release as part of the Season 2 update and many players have been trying to climb the ranks to reach the prestigious Apex Predator division. Many fans of the new ranked play system have also been looking forward to seeing what reward players would receive at the end of the first ranked season, and when it was leaked that 1x HCOG skins would be part of the rewards, players were eager to see how they would look. Apex Legends data miner, That1MiningGuy, uncovered some 3D models of the rewards in the data files and shared a preview of two of HCOG skins which will be rewarded to players at the end of the season. The leak features the two of the 1x HCOG skins which are expected to be released alongside some new Ranked reward badges and dive trails for Ranked mode players in Apex Legends. That1MiningGuy also claimed that it was likely that the files of the upcoming ranked rewards could have been unfinished and may see more improvement before being implemented into the game. Keep in mind that those 2 HCOG skins could be work in progress and they could be much better by the end of the season. I’ll post updates if I see them. — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) July 23, 2019 Despite some of the initial backlash after seeing the leaked preview of the new iron sight skins many Apex Legends fans are hopeful that the rewards will look even nicer when they are finally released and equipped to weapons in-game. As with all of the data mined leaks, Respawn Entertainment may choose to remove or change any of the leaked skins or other rewards and they have not officially confirmed what any of the ranked modes rewards will look like as of yet.

  • DarkZero shut down relocation rumors ahead of ALGS Year 4 – Dexerto

DarkZero shut down relocation rumors ahead of ALGS Year 4 Joe Brady (@joebradyphoto)/ALGSDarkZero’s Apex Legends coach, Nicholas ‘zz’, has dismissed rumors that the team will move back to the APAC region for Year 4 of ALGS. The future of DarkZero’s roster has been the subject of much conjecture in the Apex Legends scene since the team cut a frustrated figure at the ALGS Championship in Birmingham last month. After winning the ALGS Split 2 Finals, DarkZero couldn’t even make it to the Finals and finished in a disappointing 23rd place. Rubbing salt deeper into the team’s wounds was seeing their main rival, TSM, come out victorious in stunning fashion after winning three consecutive matches. With Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler being benched at the start of the month, DarkZero’s roster has been depleted to just two members, the Australian pair of Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry and Noyan ‘Genburten’ Ozkose. However, zz shut down rumors that the team is considering returning to the APAC region for ALGS Year 4. “The team is not moving back to APAC South,” he wrote on X/Twitter. “Just renewing visas right now and coming back to NA. No idea how any of those rumors started.” EA announced on October 5 many changes for Year 4 of the ALGS, including the addition of a new region, China. A total of $5 million will be on offer across the three international LAN events (Split 1 and 2 Playoffs, and the ALGS Championship) and Pro League. The preseason qualifier tournaments will take place between November 25 and December 18, with Split 1 of the Pro League beginning on the weekend of January 20-21 in all regions.

  • DarkZero poaches Apex Legends pro hours before ALGS roster lock – Dexerto

DarkZero poaches Apex Legends pro hours before ALGS roster lock Joe Brady/ ALGSDarkZero Esports have poached a player from the unsigned ALGS squad Meat Lovers hours before the roster lock deadline, according to the Meat Lover captain Will ‘TeQ’ Starck. DarkZero Esports has finalized its roster for ALGS Split 2 as the organization is set to sign Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler from the unsigned squad Meat Lovers to replace Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy. RamBeau came out of retirement to play for DarkZero as the opportunity to play with the team that won the ALGS Championship in 2022 was too good to pass on. But, even with solid results on the roster, DarkZero has decided to go in a different direction, according to the captain of Meat Lovers TeQ. The former Sentinels player took to Twitter on May 1 to ask the DarkZero coach and IGL, Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore and Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry, to make up their mind on which Meat Lover’s player they wanted to poach before the Split 2 playoff roster lock. DarkZero poach ALGS player from unsigned roster The esports organization made the move to sign Xynew just hours later, according to TeQ, leaving the IGL with only a few hours to find a replacement. According to the ALGS rulebook, rosters are locked a week before the match day starts in the league. The final match day for North America is on May 7. Teams that qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs are also compelled to retain the players from their final match-day squad for the LAN tournament. DarkZero are fourth in the North American ALGS table and are set to qualify for the Split 2 Playoffs as the squad will look to improve on its 13th-place finish at the Split 2 Playoffs. Meat Lovers are ninth in the table and if they continue their great form on the final match day, should make the top 10 cutoff to compete at the LAN tournament. DarkZero is yet to announce Xynew as its newest player and the change has yet to hit their Battlefy page.

  • DarkZero miss ALGS Finals by 1 point and drop out of 2023 Championship – Dexerto

DarkZero miss ALGS Finals by 1 point and drop out of 2023 Championship ALGS/Joe BradyDarkZero is one of the strongest organizations in competitive Apex Legends, and their roster has a history of top-tier performances that has cemented them as one of the best teams in the world. However, they fell short of expectations and dropped out of the tournament before finals. The ALGS 2023 Championship has brought some considerable shake-ups. From the scan meta being gone and paving the way for the so-called “can’t see s***” meta being ushered in to Aurora playing a man down, it’s certainly been an eventful ALGS Championship so far. However, this is a new meta that DarkZero hasn’t survived. Despite their best efforts and a strong start to the tournament, they’ve ultimately floundered and didn’t manage to make it to the finals. DarkZero’s run at the ALGS 2023 Championship is over. DarkZero fall short of expectations at ALGS 2023 Championship DarkZero is a team known for its tenacity. In an era where teams like Furia and TSM were burning bright, they were able to stay calm, cool, and collected in their ALGS wins by taking fights when they needed to, positioning well, and winning through a clean and calculated approach in crucial moments. However, competition is more fierce than ever in the ALGS. Top tier orgs with massive followings have fallen by the wayside as new, incredibly strong teams have come into the league. And, even with DarkZero cleaned up house earlier in the tournament, they couldn’t keep that level of performance up when it mattered most. Unfortunately for DarkZero and fans of the team, the historic Apex Legends roster has dropped out of contention in the Lower Finals. What makes it even more heartbreaking for fans of DZ is that they were one point short of making it into the Grand Finals in the prior Winner’s Bracket series, only for them to drop down to the loser’s bracket and end in 13th place, this time four points shy of qualification. One mistake led to a nosedive that, despite the team’s best efforts, they couldn’t correct. While DarkZero is still one of the best teams in competitive Apex Legends history, they won’t be taking another title this time around.

  • DarkZero Apex bench player after dismal ALGS Championship 2023 run – Dexerto

DarkZero Apex bench player after dismal ALGS Championship 2023 run Joe Brady/ ALGSDarkZero Esports have announced the benching of Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler about a month after the organization’s disastrous 2023 ALGS Championship run. DarkZero Esports have made its first roster move since the team’s disastrous run at the 2023 ALGS Championship. This will be the team’s third roster move in its short history in the esport. The organization joined Apex esports in 2022 and signed the team that went on to win the 2022 ALGS Championship. The team continued that success into 2023 as DarkZero recorded a top 15 placement at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs and won the Split 2 Playoffs. Despite a great run of form during the early stages of the World Championship, DarkZero failed to make the cut for the event’s finals, losing out in the bracket stage. With the Apex Legends off-season in full swing, the team has decided to change its lineup ahead of the 2024 ALGS season. DarkZero Esports announce changes to its Apex Legends lineup On October 1, DarkZero announced that Xynew has moved from the active roster to restricted free agency, meaning he will be sitting on the bench for the team while looking for other opportunities. “He and the team have mutually agreed to part ways, believing it’s the best step forward for both parties as we approach this next year of ALGS,” DarkZero said in the announcement. On social media, Xynew has made it clear that the decision was mutual, and has asked fans to not “sh** talk” his former teammates. Xynew joined DarkZero mid-ALGS season on May 7 as the team was looking to replace Rick ‘Sharky’ Wirth. The team previously tried playing with former Sentinels player Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy for a time, but that signing only lasted about a month before Xynew was brought in. The teenager’s first big test with the team came at the Split 2 Playoffs, where DarkZero managed to win the tournament and take home $300,000 in prize money. DZ player Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry won the MVP award for that tournament as well. DarkZero will now join many other organizations looking for players to join its roster as the Apex Legends off-season continues.

  • Dark Revenant Heirloom idea for Apex Legends would perfectly fit his character – Dexerto

Dark Revenant Heirloom idea for Apex Legends would perfectly fit his character Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ local terminator Revenant has a pretty bleak past, and this awesome heirloom concept really ties into his lore, while also being a very cool weapon. Heirlooms are Apex Legends’ most coveted items. Their rarity means that owning one marks you as one of the game’s luckiest and most dedicated players. All of the launch Legends, plus Octane, now have heirloom packs, and it seems like self-professed surveillance expert Crypto is next on the list. Syndicate Mercenary turned unwanted bounty hunter Revenant, though, has been left out of the party so far, but one fan has created an amazing concept that would really give players insight into the tortured soul behind the living weapon. One fan has suggested a unique idea for a possible Revenant heirloom, steeped in lore. Provisionally calling their concept “The Shard of Truth,” u/Waterc0w writes that “Revenant’s heirloom should be the glass shard and when he inspects it, he can see his human reflection on it.” Of course, the glass shard is the one that was lodged in his neck after the assassination of Loba’s parents on Olympus. In the reflection of the shard, he could see his human reflection. This ties in beautifully with the character’s terrifying but tragic backstory. The official lore states that “Revenant used to be human. He used to be the greatest hitman the Mercenary Syndicate ever had. He used to look in the mirror and see his human face looking back.” “But time changes everything, and when his programming finally failed, he saw what he had become at the hands of the Mercenary Syndicate and Hammond Robotics: a walking nightmare of steel and vestigial flesh.” This concept beautifully captures what heirlooms are supposed to do; they’re a window into the character’s past just as the mirror is a window into what remains of Revenant’s twisted soul. Unfortunately, the possibility of this shard actually being the heirloom is limited, as it’s unlikely Revenant would have kept a hold of it after all these years. But, perhaps it’s something that could be used as inspiration. It would be interesting to catch a glimpse of the villainous simulacrum before his transition into his current state, as he was once just a human too.

But, to the disappointment of a lot of his fans, Daltoosh has revealed that he’s “done” with Apex watch parties and wants to transition over to pro Call of Duty. Daltoosh wants cast competitive Call of Duty matches On January 2, a fan took to Twitter to reveal that they hope Daltoosh regains his “passion” for Apex and returns to doing watch parties for the ALGS. In response, the popular streamer revealed that he thinks he’s “done” with them, and wants to try something new. Instead of carrying on with Apex, Daltoosh wants to make the transition to competitive Call of Duty commentary. His personality and flare would no doubt draw in a lot of CoD fans, but making the switch to an entirely different game is always a risk. However, Creative Director of OpTic Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards took the time to invite Daltoosh to a watch party in Major 2 of the CDL and even offered to “shotgun some beers” with him. This would be the perfect opportunity for Daltoosh to integrate himself into the Call of Duty community and show fans of the CDL why his Apex watch parties were so popular. If this transition goes well for Daltoosh and he can recapture his passion for casting in a different game, he could continue to grow his audience, while even bringing some new viewers to CoD too.

  • Dad celebrating his Apex Legends win is the best thing you’ll see today: “POW!” – Dexerto

Dad celebrating his Apex Legends win is the best thing you’ll see today: “POW!” Respawn / Hunter, TwitterA Dad was recorded as he excitingly watched back his win in Apex Legends and it has brightened up people’s day. The video shared on Twitter has gained thousands of likes showing a Dad watching back his win in Apex Legends, shredding enemies with a sniper. A win in any game is exciting, especially in those sweaty battle royale matches that can last quite a while. But there’s something about watching the older generation compete and win those types of matches that feels just right. Additional reporting by Brianna Reeves. Dad relives Apex Legends win in viral clip The footage was reported by GUARD Hunter on Twitter, showing a video of a Dad watching back his win in Apex legends and being just as excited when he played it. In the clip, it shows the final play as the silver fox takes on a three-man team by himself. The Twitter user described the player’s excitement as “one of the best things I’ve seen in a while.” It’s easy to see why when watching the video. Even with the enemy having the high ground, one by one they slid down the hill and were immediately sniped. The guy celebrated each kill with a confident yell of victory. As the last enemy was taken down and the win secured, the great tradition of shooting the bodies of your opponents as the winning title appears sealed the deal. Many replies shared their enjoyment of the clip with one saying: “Solo clutch went crazy.” One user jokingly said, “He got an aimbot for sure.” “Watching old folks get excited about video games will always hold a special place in my heart,” one person wrote. Apex Legends and other multiplayer titles may constantly battle toxicity, yet posts like this exemplify the community at its best.

  • Crypto’s Ultimate Ability may have been revealed in Apex Legends Season 2 trailer – Dexerto

Crypto’s Ultimate Ability may have been revealed in Apex Legends Season 2 trailer Developers Respawn Entertainment have dropped a major hint on what could be the Ultimate Ability of the yet-to-be-announced Crypto Legend, who some believe will be added to Apex Legends in the upcoming second season. The highly anticipated Season 2 of Apex Legends has already been confirmed to include a flurry of new content, including the brand new Legend Wattson. However, many players believe that a second Legend, Crypto, could also make his debut in the next season, despite the fact that the developers haven’t even formally acknowledged his existence. Further fueling this speculation was a brief moment in the launch trailer for Apex Legends Season 2 – Battle Charge, an animated mini-movie that featured all of the Legends bracing for the changes coming in the new Season. The trailer included a close-up of one character, whose face was not shown on screen, working on some sort of laptop, a shot that lasted merely a couple of seconds. There are currently no Legends in the game that use a laptop as one of their abilities, and considering that the trailer took several sections to show that from up-close does signify its importance. Various leaked game files have indicated that Crypto uses a laptop to operate, which removes virtually all doubt that the figure shown in the clip was indeed the unreleased Legend. However, that’s not all that may have been revealed. Another shot of Crypto actually showed what he was working on, and it may end up being a huge clue left there by Respawn The laptop screen includes the words ‘ACTIVATE EMP’ with a strange logo above it, which many are thinking will be the name and insignia of his Ultimate Ability. If that does turn out to be his Ult, it would make a lot of sense, considering that an EMP would be able to shut down enemy players from being able to use their abilities, at least for a little while. While some have already argued that having a counter to other Legends goes against what Respawn have said in the past, others have brought up examples of how the developers have transgressed on that pledge before, such as making Wattson’s Ult counter that of Gibraltar and Bangalore, or Mirage’s ability to turn invisible act as a counter to Caustic’s traps. When does Apex Legends Season 2 launch? The second season of Apex Legends, called Battle Charge is set to release on July 2, 2019, featuring a revamped Battle Pass, the new Legend Wattson, the long-awaited L-STAR weapon, and more.

  • Crypto’s sister hints at mystery character in Apex Legends bunker teaser – Dexerto

Crypto’s sister hints at mystery character in Apex Legends bunker teaser Respawn EntertainmentHuge mysteries are often included in the Apex Legends lore and Crypto’s sister has added to the collection with a final bunker teaser, claiming there’s a character in the shadows that’s out to get him. [jwplayer MY2aLBHW] These loot bunkers have appeared in recent times, allowing legends to hop inside, grab some loot, but also find out more information about the underlying story of the Apex Games. It might be a multiplayer game, but Respawn Entertainment is always giving its player base an opportunity to learn more about its characters, and the latest teaser is a great example of that. This time, what was said was rather interesting as well, even if we’re all forced to read between the lines. There’s already a fine selection of legends in-game that we know about, with most recent additions including Revenant and Loba. However, there was no name given to the character that appears to be watching Crypto’s every move right now. Let’s take a look at what his sister says in the teaser… “They didn’t know the doors had overrides. That’s how I got away. They also didn’t know about the backdoors into their security archive… I’m safe. I’m laying low. But you gotta know – They’re working for one guy. I don’t know his name but he’s watching you… from the inside.” This decoded message leaves more questions than answers in terms of what’s to come for Crypto, with the hidden figure potentially being somebody new to soon arrive on the scene, or potentially a current character we already know about. Nothing is for certain. In the absence of something concrete, some players on Reddit have been speculating about the identity of the spy. One user posted: “Is she possibly talking about Kuben Blisk?” while another added: “I thought that to but when she said someone watching you just one guy from the inside meaning he’s got to be in the games, Revenant? ” For those who aren’t aware, Kuben Blisk was a key part of the Titanfall story, and leader of Apex Predators, who are an infamous outfit of ruthless freelance Pilots. He’s been linked with the battle royale game for some time, and has been discovered in the game’s files in the past, which is usually an indicator of new content. Nothing ever materialized, though some members of the community seem convinced he’s the man behind the plan to get Crypto here. Whether or not he’ll be popping his head into the Apex Games any time soon is really a question for Respawn. They appear to be plotting something big for the next legend, following a teaser including Ash from the Titanfall series, which was showcased in the game’s Broken Ghost quest line. Could these two teasers be related? We’ll have to wait and see.

  • Crypto’s rock-bottom Apex Legends pick rate could force Respawn into another buff – Dexerto

Crypto’s rock-bottom Apex Legends pick rate could force Respawn into another buff Respawn/EACrypto might be in need of another buff in Apex Legends as some fans are still not sold on his Season 12 changes and his pick rate is back at the bottom. Aside from the arrival of Mad Maggie and the new Control LTM, one of the other big points of excitement in Apex Legends Season 12 was the long-awaited rework of Crypto. The Security Expert, who has been in Apex since Season 3, had long been promised an update from Respawn, especially to make his drone ability a bit stronger. He got that in Season 12, with Crypto mains now able to use the drone’s ability without needing to post up in a corner. Despite the initial excitement, however, Crypto has sunk back down to the bottom of the Apex Legends pick rate charts, and fans believe he needs another round of changes already. Redditor Waxowalter was one of those Apex fans to highlight the fact that Crypto’s pick rate is back in the toilet after previously spiking at the start of the new season. A handful of players quickly suggested that the legend should be buffed as a result, seeing as the recent change only made him a lot more “clunky” to use. “He should throw the drone a greater distance like Mirages’ decoy,” suggested one player. “That drone needs to fly so much faster,” added another, pointing out that the increased visibility of it has somewhat even “nerfed” Crypto.

  • Crypto’s Heirloom has a special door animation in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crypto’s Heirloom has a special door animation in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/MadLadApex Legends players have discovered a unique door animation for Crypto’s Heirloom as well as a number of other rare interactions. The Warriors Collection event arrived in Apex Legends on March 29, reintroducing the 9v9 Control mode and adding a set of incredible new cosmetics. However, Crypto’s Biwon Blade Heirloom is definitely the addition that’s getting most of the attention. With satisfying sound effects and more animations than any other previous Heirloom, the hacker’s rare collectible has definitely raised the bar for future collection events. Despite this, a lot of the interactions on Crypto’s blade are extremely rare, and players are discovering new ones that the majority of the community has never seen before. Rare Crypto Heirloom animations in Apex Legends As showcased by The Gaming Merchant, Crypto’s Biwon Blade has a special door break animation that’s incredibly rare, similar to Wattson’s Energy Reader. Although it can take hundreds of melee hits to receive the interaction, eventually, Crypto will order his drone to break the door instead of using the blade. Of course, Respawn has also given the Biwon Blade a special melee interaction similar to Mirage’s pork chop. It even appears to be the exact same animation, but instead of using a piece of meat, Crypto grabs his trusty drone. While this is definitely an impressive added touch, if you blink you’ll probably miss it, so make sure to be on the lookout for the drone hit while you’re piloting the Surveillance Expert. Finally, Crypto’s blade also has special animation when scanning beacons for the next ring. Instead of operating the beacon normally, Crypto utilizes his Heirloom to activate the device, showing that the blade is capable of performing multiple functions. The feedback from the community on the Heirloom has been overwhelmingly positive, with countless players praising the devs for the incredible animations and sound effects. Without a doubt, this has raised the bar for rare collectibles in the future and even has some players wondering whether the devs should revisit old Heirlooms and give them a major rework.

  • Crypto’s Heirloom finally revealed in Apex Legends Warriors Collection event – Dexerto

Crypto’s Heirloom finally revealed in Apex Legends Warriors Collection event Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ resident hacker has finally got his heirloom – the Biwon Blade. Despite releasing in Season 3, Crypto has seen other Legends get their heirlooms first, but it’s his time to shine in the Warriors Collection event. Heirlooms are the most sought-after items in Apex, and are the perfect companion for your favorite character, as you can have them equipped at all times. But, as they are only released once per season, some characters have to wait a while to get their own. Despite being the third post-launch Legend, Crypto has had to wait the longest, with Revenant and Rampart even getting theirs first, despite releasing later. Finally though, Crypto mains can rejoice, as the Biwon Blade Heirloom is finally here. Crypto Heirloom: Biwon Blade Releasing in the Warrior’s Collection event, starting on March 29, Crypto’s Heirloom will be available to unlock after completing the collection. Alternatively, if you don’t unlock the 24 cosmetics, it will be placed into the Mythic store, available for 150 heirloom shards. And Crypto mains will certainly be keen to unlock this particular heirloom, as it lives up to the high expectations. Crypto’s Heirloom: The Biwon Blade Happy with this, Crypto mains? pic.twitter.com/cOQ1m8LYK0 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 24, 2022 The heirloom comes with some special animations too, as all heirlooms typically do. Crypto even takes out an old image of his family from his life before the games, with his foster sister Mila and Mystik, who took him in. The blade folds away for easy storage too, just like his drone. However, heirlooms are no longer the only items of this level of rarity anymore, as Apex has added Prestige Skins too – the first of which was for Bloodhound, released at the start of Season 12. The next heirloom could be for Loba or Valkyrie – and if you don’t mind spoilers, leaks have already shown what Valkyrie’s heirloom could look like.

  • Crypto’s “busted” Apex Mobile abilities are making PC & console players jealous – Dexerto

Crypto’s “busted” Apex Mobile abilities are making PC & console players jealous Respawn EntertainmentCrypto’s abilities in Apex Legends Mobile are significantly more powerful than his counterpart in the main game and it’s making PC & console players jealous. On August 23, Crypto was added to Apex Legends Mobile with the Hyperbeat update but it’s safe to say his kit is slightly different compared to PC and console. As Mobile has a completely separate meta, the devs had the freedom to redesign the Surveillance Expert’s drone and provide extra features for the hacker. While this was brilliant news for the Mobile community, a lot of players from the main game have seen the changes and want Respawn to implement similar buffs in their version of the title. PC & console players want Crypto’s kit from Apex Mobile While there are countless powerful perks that Crypto has available to him in Mobile, it’s the changes to his core kit that are garnering the most attention. On Mobile, the hacker’s drone can follow Crypto with the tap of a button and automatically track any nearby enemies for select periods of time. This means Crypto can maneuver around the map with ease, detecting any opponents and then hunting them down for a kill. As always, these Mobile changes have sparked a debate in the Apex community over whether these buffs would be too strong in the main game. For some players, Crypto’s extremely low pick rate in the main game is an indication that he needs a buff, so for them, seeing Mobile make changes to his kit is very frustrating. “Why do they give good things to mobile but not the actual game… this would make Crypto so much better but nah he’s suffering on the bottom,” wrote one frustrated Twitter user. Another countered this argument by claiming that “this would be busted in the main game… Being able to run around with Crypto and automatically scan anyone nearby, come on now.” Either way, with Mobile receiving so many exclusive features and changes, it was always going to lead to some frustration from players on PC and console who are missing out.

  • Crypto trash-talks opponents in epic Apex Legends rap song – Dexerto

Crypto trash-talks opponents in epic Apex Legends rap song An Apex Legends fan has made an original song starring Crypto by using the Legend’s in-game voice lines as lyrics. Apex fan its_xaro93 has made a variety of Apex-based songs in this manner, having first done so with a rap song starring Lifeline titled “Mozambique ‘ere”. Their latest release, which uses the most recent character to join Apex, Crypto, follows a similar style, with the Legend explaining their superiority and disparaging his opponents over a consistent beat. “It’s easy to get here, harder to walk away. This wasn’t personal, you’re just in my way. I don’t know if you’re just bad, or an idiot. But what do I know? I’m just a genius.” The track is titled “Just The Way It Goes”, a line that Crypto – stylized as “Crypt-o” in the cover art for the song, which imagines the character as a music artist rather than an Apex combatant – repeats for the chorus. “This is just the way it goes. I’m here to break the game, now come and get me. Just the way it goes, you should have quit and gone home, idiot. This is just the way it goes. You’ll only disappear, now come and get me. Just the way it goes, you can’t escape yourself, idiot.” While its_xaro93 is best known for their Apex Legends tracks, it’s not the only game they’ve made music out of, also applying the same process to Overwatch to create songs for Pharah, Zarya, and most recently a heavy metal song featuring Reaper. With the release of ‘Just The Way It Goes”, its_xaro93 has now produced a track for every Legend currently in Apex. Whether they decide to further explore other games until Respawn release more characters or expand the set list for existing Legends remains to be seen, although with only a certain number of voice lines existing for each character there will be a limit to how many unique tracks could be made for each.

  • Crypto set for Apex Legends nerf already as devs admit invisibility is too strong – Dexerto

Crypto set for Apex Legends nerf already as devs admit invisibility is too strong Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment are apparently set to hit Crypto with a nerf already after his Season 22 buff left Apex Legends fans a bit split. Over the last few years, as Respawn has added new Legends to Apex Legends, plenty of the older characters have become a bit unloved. The biggest example of that, for some, has been Crypto. The Surveillance Expert has been around since Season 3, but has been underpowered for the last few years. Players have routinely called for changes to his abilities, and their calls were finally answered in Season 22. At the start of the new season, Crypto was finally given an Off The Grid ability, allowing him to go invisible when using his drone. The buff quickly became ‘hated’ by players as it allowed for more rat plays. However, it split long-time Crypto mains who said he wasn’t being used in the correct way and feared a nerf. Well, according to Alliance player John ‘Hakis’ Håkansson, Respawn is targeting a Crypto nerf before long. “They’re going to nerf the invisibility, yes, 100%,” the Swede said during his September 3 stream. “The devs already told me straight after that one game in group stages that they need to nerf that. It’ll be coming soon TM.” Timestamp of 1:00 As noted, the recent buff has gotten Crypto on the radar of some top players. He’s become a must-use pick in competitive play, rising to have a 4.3% pick rate. That is an increase of over 26% compared to Season 21. Those players who have feared a nerf have suggested that Respawn may increase the noise that Crypto emits when cloaked. That would be a nice tell, rather than completely nuking the invisibility. The change might also mean that Mirage gets a look in as well. He was accidentally nerfed due to the new health bars, so Respawn may want to look at that too.

  • Crypto receives message from long-lost sister in new Apex Legends teaser – Dexerto

Crypto receives message from long-lost sister in new Apex Legends teaser Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cgdaanpd] It appears that Crypto’s sister, Mila, is alive and well, as she’s sent a mysterious video message, visible only to her brother, in one of the new Apex Legends bunkers. Aside from its electric gameplay and various other unique aspects, Apex Legends is also known for its fascinating lore, which extends deeply into each character’s backstory and origin. Crypto, as his name suggests, has always been one of the more mysterious Legends since being added in Season 3, as not much has been revealed about his past or why he joined the Apex Games. According to Respawn Entertainment, the Surveillance Expert, whose real name is Tae Joon, has a sister named Mila, who “vanished under mysterious and violent circumstances,” leading many to believe that she was dead. However, the latest teaser in Apex Legends suggests otherwise. Following the new map change that allows players to open loot bunker 2 on Kings Canyon, a message was found from someone who claims to be Mila addressed to her brother. The video, which can only be played using Crypto’s drone, features the sister telling Tae Joon that she believed him to be dead and reveals a few details about the attack that separated the two. “T, it’s Mi, I’m using the drone’s encryption protocol, only you can hear me,” she says. “They, whoever they are, they came to my place. I got away, but they caught up with me. I thought they were going to kill me. I thought they killed you.” Turns out my recording software was uber quiet so I boosted the volume of the video like mad. pic.twitter.com/c2AP4oQ1tA — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) June 30, 2020 If the message seems incomplete, that’s probably because it is. When Crypto’s drone is loading up the video, you can see the screen show “loading message 1/3,” which clearly means that there are two other parts that Mila recorded and sent. That’s… pretty much all we’ve got right now. There’s no indication when, or where, parts two and three will surface, although it’s most likely to be in another one of the loot bunkers that could be opened soon. However, the official Apex Legends Twitter did post a cryptic tweet shortly after players found Mila’s recording, which shows what appears to by Crypto’s laptop confirming that it was indeed her speaking in the video. Kings Canyon is also featured in the GIF, so the map certainly seems to be tied in with whatever’s going on. As for what this all means, there’s not much to go on, so only time will tell. We’ll probably need to see the next two parts of Mila’s video message to get a better idea of what’s coming, but there’s no doubt that fans will be excited at the prospect of learning more about Crypto’s origin, seeing as how he’s a fascinating character. As always, make sure to follow us on Twitter @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news, updates, leaks, and more.

  • Crypto pick rate spikes in Apex Legends ahead of long-awaited buff – Dexerto

Crypto pick rate spikes in Apex Legends ahead of long-awaited buff Respawn/EAApex Legends fans have been showing a bit of love towards Crypto ahead of his long-awaited buff in Season 12, as his pick rate has recently spiked. Despite having a strong showing after being introduced back in Season 3, Crypto has slowly sunk to the bottom of the popularity charts when it comes to usage rate in Apex Legends. The Security Expert’s drone can be a powerful tool on the battlefield, but with it needing to be operated manually, it can cause some problems. Not everyone wants to sit in a corner while their teammates push into a fight outnumbered. That’ll be changing in Season 12: Defiance, though, as Crypto will finally get his highly-anticipated buff – allowing him to use the Drone’s abilities on the fly. And, it seems as if players are pretty excited for it already. For quite some time, Crypto has rivaled Rampart for the bottom slot when it comes to usage rate in the Apex Games, not getting much use in casual or ranked play. However, as per stats from ApexLegendsStatus, Crypto’s pick rate has spiked close to 14% recently, and is regularly being used in Gold 4 skill level lobbies – similar to more powerful legends like Ash, Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Octane. Despite the sharp rise in usage, Crypto does still rank as the second-lowest used legend overall. Though, that’s because he’s pretty useless for quite some time. With the buff that’s coming in Season 12 looking like a pretty decent boost, it wouldn’t be at all shocking to see Crypto rises further up the usage charts. He’s got a fair way to go before he’s a staple in every game and is affecting the meta much like an Octane, but Crypto mains have finally got something to shout about after long last.

  • Crypto pick rate skyrockets in Apex Legends after Season 16 update – Dexerto

Crypto pick rate skyrockets in Apex Legends after Season 16 update Respawn EntertainmentCrypto’s pick rate has skyrocketed in Apex Legends following the Season 16 update, making one of the most overlooked characters significantly more popular overnight. Since his release all the way back in Season 3 of Apex Legends, Crypto has been an extremely low-pick-rate Legend, sitting right at the bottom of the rankings. The Surveillance Expert’s often stationary playstyle when flicking in and out of drone view only appeals to a small collective of players. Not only that, compared to other Legends, Crypto has never managed to break into the meta or establish himself as a powerful choice. Well, although he’s not quite in the top 10, Crypto’s popularity has skyrocketed massively in Season 16, taking him from 23rd to 13th overnight despite receiving no direct buffs to his kit. Crypto pick rate explodes after Apex Legends Season 16 update According to Apex Legends Status, Crypto’s pick rate went from 1.3% at the end of Season 15, to 2.7% after the Season 16 update. That’s a total increase of 108% in just under a week and based on the stats, his popularity is still increasing. This means the Surveillance Expert has gone from contending with Newcastle for 23rd and 22nd place in the rankings to 13th in terms of pick rate. It’s even possible that Crypto overtakes Ash soon based on his trajectory, as she’s only just in front at 3.1%. This shift is unbelievable for a character who has never managed to climb the leaderboard or interest a large portion of the player base. Of course, this begs the question, why has Crypto’s pick rate gone up so high after Season 16? Well, the hacker received no buffs or nerfs in the patch, but he did receive some bug fixes and is included in the new Recon class. This means he can interact with modified Survey Beacons to reveal all enemy positions on the Map/Mini-Map for 30 seconds. In combination with his drone, this makes Crypto a brilliant tracker for teams looking to rack up kills. The Recon class passive is without a doubt one of the strongest abilities in the recent rework and has given Crypto a new lease of life in Revelry. However, we’ll have to wait and see whether he can maintain his popularity, or whether he drops back down in a few weeks’ time.

  • Genius Crypto passive idea for Apex Legends would be the perfect Bloodhound counter – Dexerto

Genius Crypto passive idea for Apex Legends would be the perfect Bloodhound counter Respawn EntertainmentAs players continue to drift away from playing Apex Legends’ resident hacker, Crypto, one fan has designed an interesting passive ability that would make him the perfect counter to the infamous Bloodhound. Whether on your team or amid the enemy squads, Bloodhound, the mysterious tracker, is a staple for most Apex lineups, so much so that Respawn are considering nerfing them due to their insanely high pick rate. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Crypto, who the devs are considering reworking to try and stop his downward play rate trajectory. If they implemented this specific fan made passive, though, we could see the Korean hacker’s popularity skyrocket. Crypto passive idea Taking to Reddit to show off their innovative idea for Crypto’s passive, NOT_CL4P-TRAP has received 24.2k upvotes for their concept at the time of writing. Crypto’s current passive, Neurolink, allows “Crypto and his teammates see what the Surveillance Drone detects up to a 30-meter radius,” with enemies, doors, traps and supply bins highlighted in orange. While this is useful, this new idea would be much more effective. Entitled “Off the Grid,” this new idea would mean that “Crypto cannot be scanned by enemy Legends.” Writing that “Crypto doesn’t really have a passive ability,” NOT_CL4P-TRAP has suggested this as “would be perfect for Crypto as it fits his personality” as he’s “someone who wants to stay hidden.” Obviously this perfectly counters Bloodhound’s tactical, Eye of the Allfather. Whether or not it would also interrupt their passive Tracker ability would be also interesting, and insanely useful. As Respawn continue to monitor the hacker’s lackluster pick rate, it’ll be interesting to see if they make some changes in Season 9. Considering they want to both buff Crypto and possibly nerf Bloodhound, this suggestion could hit two birds with one stone. Don’t expect too much for either Legend in the Season 9 patch notes though. We’ll have to wait and see if the devs implement their own take on this concept, but until then, Crypto will likely continue to remain off the grid for a lot of Apex players.

  • Crypto goes missing following latest Apex Legends Season 3 map teaser – Dexerto

Crypto goes missing following latest Apex Legends Season 3 map teaser Respawn EntertainmentA new teaser for Apex Legends Season 3 hints at a new map after Crypto is now missing from King’s Canyon. Apex Legends players can feel there’s a huge change coming to the battle royale, and it looks like a final September 26 clue has all but convinced fans that they’ll soon be competing on a new planet. Respawn Entertainment have been releasing a swarm of Crypto-related teasers, showing what the mysterious hacker has been up to in the moments leading up to a proper introduction in the Apex Games. The devs are definitely preparing to reveal all soon, seeing as Crypto has completely vanished from Kings Canyon, and possibly en route to another locale. Various story elements have been lending to the idea of a new planet being introduced for players to explore, and Apex Legends loremaster ‘FrozenFroh’ is starting to see how it’ll all lead up to a huge reveal. [ACCESSING FILE: NEW DAWN] [UPLOADING TO DATABASE: ESTIMATED TIME….1440 MINUTES][==————————————1%] pic.twitter.com/BGot5806Cu — A̸̦͗p̴̗̾e̴̘̿x̵̩͗ ̵̱̈́L̶̠̾e̵̋ͅg̷̣͛ȩ̴̽n̵͈̆d̷̯̊ṡ̷̩ (@PlayApex) September 26, 2019 The new teaser tweeted by the official Apex Legends account showed the front end of the Draconis with the rest of the ship shrouded by clouds on a gloomy atmosphere. “[ACCESSING FILE: NEW DAWN],” the tweet’s text said. “[UPLOADING TO DATABASE: ESTIMATED TIME….1440 MINUTES]” With basic maths, players can deduce that Respawn has something arriving for Friday, September 27 at 10 am, confirming previous suspicions from another teaser. But piecing it all together, a new theory of a frost-covered planet might be in the cards for whatever the devs have planned. Even though “New Dawn” ties together with a previous planet named “Dawn” once seen in a concept for the Titanfall universe, it looks like it might just be Respawn’s way of signaling a new era for the game. Lifeline and Octane’s home planet of Psamathe is starting to seem likely as the new location, especially since there are unused voice recordings for Legends hinting to a cold environment. Not much is known about Psamathe, but an image of Lifeline hanging from a cliff shows a frozen tundra with lava veins prominently in the background. Whatever might brewing, it seems like there’s only one day left to wait until the Apex Legends devs give players a full look at what’s to come in Season 3 and Crypto is already on his way.

  • Crypto mains fear instant nerf after “OP buff” for Season 22 of Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crypto mains fear instant nerf after “OP buff” for Season 22 of Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentCrypto mains are already fearing a nerf in Apex Legends after his long-awaited buff in Season 22, with some believing it is “very OP” and “out of character” for the battle royale. When Crypto was first introduced back in Apex Legends Season 4, fans were quickly obsessed with his drone. The Surveillance Expert provided a free UAV on teams in your area, allowing your trio to make more calculated moves. Over the years, the drone has gone through several changes, but Crypto has fallen massively in pick rate. He’s been one of the least-played legends for quite some time, and finally got a much-needed buff in Season 22. The ‘off the grid’ passive now allows Crypto to be completely invisible when using his drone. Well, unless scanned by someone like Bloodhound. And even though it’s only been around a short time, some players are fearing a nerf. “Fellow crypto mains, we need to enjoy this feature, before they remove it,” one player said after another shared a video of them using Crypto’s invisibility to spring a surprise on teams during the game’s final zone. “I fear they gonna take the invisibility and just make us unscanable,” another said. “Do everyone a favor and remove this post. Don’t need nerfs in the first week thanks. Let me enjoy crypto for a little longer,” commented another. Other players chimed in to say that “right now it feels very OP” and that the recon legend needs a nerf. Others argued that it is simply a “skill issue” as players need to shoot Crypto drones whenever they see one. Prior to the update, many fans were convinced that Crypto would become a top-tier character, and he is on his way. As per ApexLegendStats, his pick rate has jumped up to around 3% and that should continue to climb. Yet, the exploit where Crypto can go invisible and heal at the same time will need fixing soon. That one is a little busted.

  • Crypto & Maggie trick creates a flying flamethrower in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crypto & Maggie trick creates a flying flamethrower in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a simple trick involving Maggie and Crypto that converts the hacker’s drone into a flying flamethrower. Although Mad Maggie has only just arrived on the Apex Legends roster in Season 12, she’s already causing havoc across the Outlands with her aggressive and powerful kit. As expected, it hasn’t taken the community long to develop some incredible tricks and interactions involving the Rebel Warlord, including one that turns her Ultimate into a fireball. Now, an unlikely combination is gaining traction, with Crypto and Maggie pairing up together to turn the hacker’s drone into a flying flamethrower. Maggie & Crypto trick turns hacker’s drone into flamethrower Similar to the Crypto and Rampart drone interaction back in Season 7, players have discovered that Maggie Riot Drill Tactical can be attached to the drone. As showcased by MorrisKingYT on the Apex Legends subreddit, this makes for a hilarious and effective combination that can chase down and burn foes. Although Maggie’s Tactical doesn’t deal a huge amount of damage, it is extremely disruptive when attached to the drone. and can cause enemies to panic. Of course, it’s unlikely this is going to become a meta trick anytime soon, but it’s certainly made for a set of incredibly funny clips and moments. While this trick definitely isn’t as overpowered as the Sheila drone exploit, it’s certainly an unintended interaction that Respawn will likely fix in the near future. With Crypto receiving a huge buff in Season 12 already, it’s safe to say he doesn’t need a flying flamethrower to improve his kit anymore in Defiance. However, until this bug is resolved it would be wise to be a little warier of Crypto drones in your matches, just in case the one you run into is spurting flames and closing in on your position.

  • Crypto lore could hint at new Apex Legends map – Dexerto

Crypto lore could hint at new Apex Legends map Respawn EntertainmentThe official Crypto will be the next new Apex Legend for a while now, but this is the first indication that there could be a new map on the way to the battle royale. The new Crypto hint is appropriately cryptic, but dedicated fans have been hard at work deciphering and trying to decode it to figure out what the message could mean. What’s the new Crypto lore? The gif posted to the Apex Legends Twitter appears to be an email from Crypto (AKA Tae Joon “TJ” Park) addressed to someone known as “Mystik”, who the upcoming legend refers to as his mother. At first glance it appears to just be Crypto talking about a date night, but the gif ‘glitches’ at certain points, revealing an intriguing new message. — A̸̦͗p̴̗̾e̴̘̿x̵̩͗ ̵̱̈́L̶̠̾e̵̋ͅg̷̣͛ȩ̴̽n̵͈̆d̷̯̊ṡ̷̩ (@PlayApex) September 24, 2019 Reddit user stdstd dutifully decoded the message which actually reads as a plan to damage King’s Canyon so Crypto can hop a dropship off of Solace (the planet where King’s Canyon is located) to “somewhere in New Dawn”. The fully decoded message is included below (credit to stdstd): As I’m sure you’ve heard, I took your advice and I went to the Games. It’s the only way to get close to the people who framed me. All I had to do was distract the Syndicate long enough to get “Crypto’s” credentials into the system. You were right about the qualifying matches. I looked into it, and there’s no way I could have gotten in. So I went with Plan B: I took down the Repulsor tower. I had no idea it would be so insane. I’m hoping the damage was enough to close Kings Canyon, so I can hitch a ride on the dropship off Solace, and find the evidence I need somewhere in New Dawn. I just hope I see you one last time, and I don’t get blown up before I go off-planet. (Sorry. Paranoia leads to gallows humor.) Thank you for always being the mom I needed. I’ll be in touch. Try not to worry much. What’s that you always say? It’s hard to be scared when you’re prepared. TJ Shortly after posting the message from Crypto, Apex’s Twitter posted another gif, that’s most likely related to the upcoming new legend as well, though what it means exactly has yet to be determined. [LOGIN ATTEMPT 00287_52: UNSUCCESSFUL] pic.twitter.com/wWY9lCxNwL — A̸̦͗p̴̗̾e̴̘̿x̵̩͗ ̵̱̈́L̶̠̾e̵̋ͅg̷̣͛ȩ̴̽n̵͈̆d̷̯̊ṡ̷̩ (@PlayApex) September 24, 2019 Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe, and we know Solace is a planet on the Frontier in the game’s world, but New Dawn is just that – new. There was a multiplayer map called “Dawn” included in the cancelled Titanfall Online game from 2018 – but there’s no way to tell if that’s in any way related to a possible upcoming map. We don’t know anything for sure because even though Crypto’s message hints at a new map, it obviously doesn’t confirm anything. At least players will have more hints and clues to pour through until Season 3, and Crypto himself, arrive in October 2019.

  • Crypto heirloom concept for Apex Legends is an iconic Korean blade – Dexerto

Crypto heirloom concept for Apex Legends is an iconic Korean blade Respawn EntertainmentA Crypto heirloom concept that equips the Surveillance Expert with a Korean Jingum blade has gone viral in the Apex Legends community. While Apex Legends players are always looking to collect the latest skins and cosmetics, there’s nothing more sought after than the character heirlooms. These incredibly rare items can only be obtained through collection events or at a 1 in 500 drop rate in packs. Although players are guaranteed an heirloom after 500 have been opened, this can take hundreds of hours of gameplay to achieve without spending money. As a result of this, Respawn has to make sure these collectibles are detailed and match their respective character’s theme perfectly. Well, instead of waiting for the devs to release their Crypto heirloom, Saad2_17 decided to make one themselves and its caught the attention of the Apex community. Apex Legends concept gives Crypto a Korean blade heirloom A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit showcasing a Jingum blade heirloom for Crypto has garnered over 800 upvotes at the time of writing. Saad2_17’s design is based around an iconic Korean blade, which is slightly different from a Katana. Rather than being thin and long, the Jingum is shorter and wider, making it the perfect melee weapon for the Apex Games. As you can see, a lot of effort has been put into the neon green data-like details that cover the outside of the blade. This matches Crypto’s theme perfectly, and the data chip at the base of the Jingum is an amazing touch. Although most fans would probably expect Crypto to receive a gadget rather than a deadly blade, the weapon is a perfect match for the Surveillance Expert. As of yet, Respawn hasn’t revealed any details about their plans for Crypto’s heirloom, with Rampart looking like she’s going to be next on the list for a collection event. For now, let’s hope the devs are taking note of all of these amazing concepts and hopefully, taking some inspiration from the designs and implementing them into their own work.

  • Crypto finally makes an appearance in Apex Legends – Respawn respond – Dexerto

Crypto finally makes an appearance in Apex Legends – Respawn respond Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends devs introduced the best look at the mysterious hacker Crypto after months of teases and hints for the upcoming character – and Respawn have added to the speculation themselves. Respawn Entertainment is gearing up for its Season 3 launch in early October which could bring the next Legend into the Apex Games for players to compete with. Even though the devs have been quiet on the character, they’ve given plenty of clues for the Legend to hold fans over until his release. But players might have just received the best look at what Crypto will look like when he finally hits the official servers since he’s been spotted deep inside Singh Labs Interior. In a Reddit post, user ‘FrozenFroh’ highlighted Crypto in the middle of breaching yet another computer, but made a quick escape after noticing he’d been discovered. Making their way through a debris-covered doorway, the player sees the character in his white jacket with his back turned. Though it seems like his robotic companion tips him off on the incoming player. It looks like Crypto’s Aerial Drone went into attack mode a bit too, as his middle sensor turned into a pin-point red dot similar to a HAL 9000. Shortly after getting found out, Crypto quickly ends his hack leaving his signature digital mark on the screen above the computer console. As he dashes away his robotic companion takes a brief moment to realize they’re choosing flight instead of fight, and promptly follows suit. Respawn respond to Crypto’s first sighting Shortly after the post made it to the front page of the community subreddit, a handful of developers responded, trying to throw players off the trail. Producer Josh Medina simply replied ‘Who?’, playing coy, while another dev, Rayme Vinson joked that they may have in fact changed Crypto’s name to ‘Jimmy McHackington III’. Another developer joked that the leaked game files indicating that the name is definitely Crypto are actually a reference to Bitcoin, and nothing to do with the eleventh Apex Legend. While the newest teaser is brief in its presentation, it is by far the best look the Apex Legends community has seen of Crypto’s in-game character model. There’s still a lot of unknown aspects about the upcoming Legend, but fans are already hyped on Respawn’s series of teasers leading up to the character’s release and what it could mean for the game’s future. “Respawn has been upping their game in every aspect and has started being great at in-game teasers,” one user said. “Hope the improvements continue in every area. Including hot fixes, more items added to legendary skins, and the like.” Crypto’s release is sure to bring a ton of renewed interest for the battle royale’s community who can’t wait to see how the hacker will influence the Apex Games. • Crypto finally getting buff to make him top tier in Apex Legends Season 22 – Dexerto

Crypto finally getting buff to make him top tier in Apex Legends Season 22 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have, at last, had their wish granted for a buff to Crypto. And, while it should make him a top pick, it is also based on a long-time community meme. As Respawn Entertainment has made different legend changes over the last few years, one character has been near the top of most players’ lists for a buff – Crypto. The recon legend, who was added to Apex Legends back in Season 3, was initially a popular pick. His drone made sure of that, as it could be used to grab teammates’ banners in a pinch and also scout for enemies in nearby zones. However, as other changes were made, Crypto fell off in a rapid fashion. Players quickly urged Respawn to give him an ‘off the grid’ passive that would prevent him from being scanned by other Crypto players or appearing when any other scan abilities were used. Well, after years of that ‘off the grid’ meme being used by the community, Respawn are buffing the Surveillance Expert in a similar way in Season 22. Moving forward, when Crypto starts to use his drone, he will be totally cloaked and invisible to enemy players. That should make him a top-tier pick for anyone looking to rat in late zones. “This got me so hyped, my boi finally getting the attention he deserves. Gonna go crazy!!” one excited player said. “One of the best buffs since season 7 in my opinion,” another added. “This just makes him even better. Can’t wait for this change. Although I’ll miss the faster-moving drone perk,” commented another. Of course, the downside to that is that his teammate will be down a player. Yet, we will see his pick rate spike soon as a result of this change. “This won’t last long,” one worried player said, suggesting Respawn will have to quickly revert things.

  • Crypto care package glitch is actually a perfect buff in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crypto care package glitch is actually a perfect buff in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players have found a way to turn Crypto’s drone into a care package, and it’s actually a perfect buff for the recently buffed legend. When Crypto was first introduced back in Apex Legends Season 3, many fans were instantly interested in just how his drone would impact the battle royale. Despite an initial wave of use, it didn’t take long for the Security Expert to slip down the pick rate charts. After long last, he got a bit of a buff and rework in Season 12, and while players have taken to him again, Crypto still remains near the bottom end when it comes to usage in-game. As a result, players have called on Respawn to implement even more changes. While the developers haven’t answered the call on that front, some players have found a way to turn his drone into a delivery system, and it’s actually a pretty neat buff. Apex Legends YouTuber RossTheeSquirrel highlighted the glitch on April 29, showing how you can deliver items using Crypto’s drone, provided you have a full inventory. It works similarly to how the drone could deploy holosprays, but with a slight twist. As noted, you’ll need a full backpack of items first of all, and then you have to get the timing right between opening the drone and having your inventory on-screen. As the YouTuber shows, if it is done correctly, the inventory menu will stay open as you’re operating the drone, and you can then select an item to deliver – including ammunition, heals, and weapon attachments. While the glitch may be pretty situational – it’s probably not going to work in an all-out, guns-blazing final zone – players believe it has its uses and should be a full-time thing. “Passive should be his drone can carry one item and drop it. Imagine if you picked up a grenade and dropped it on a squad,” said one. “I’m not even mad about him not having a droneless passive with how versatile Hack is,” added another. With Season 13 on the horizon, it could be that Respawn patches this glitch before long, but maybe they’ll listen to players and adapt it as an actual ability. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Crypto can perfectly counter Mirage’s decoys in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crypto can perfectly counter Mirage’s decoys in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer N00PrGvg]Mirage decoys can be extremely frustrating to play against in Apex Legends, especially as the circle grows smaller — but Crypto players might be the perfect counter to him. Mirage’s ultimate ability, Life of the Party, sees him deploy a team of controllable decoys to distract enemies, and it can be an absolute nightmare to come up against. Of course, there are different ways to counter Mirage and his team of decoys. For example, Bloodhound mains can use their scanner to pinpoint the real Mirage among his clones, but if you’re not comfortable using Bloodhound this isn’t particularly helpful to you. If you or a teammate likes to play as Crypto, you’ll also have a perfect counter to Mirage’s Life of the Party ultimate, with his drone able to identify the real one immediately. Obviously, it requires some forward-thinking, and especially if you’re using it late in the game you’ll want to make sure you have suitable cover, but the reward is instantaneous. Similar to how Bloodhound’s scanner leaves a diamond on the real Mirage, Crypto’s drone lights the real one up and also leaves a diamond shape on them so you or a teammate can capitalize on them thinking they’re concealed. You can see how it works in this clip from AsymmetricSquid, who effectively used the trick to help his team become champions of the Apex Games. As mentioned, this is pretty situational, and you’ll have to make sure the opportunity and availability is there — but if it works and you can get your drone out, you’ve as good as guaranteed yourself the kill barring a huge mistake. As shown above, this could be the difference between a win or a loss, so if you find yourself facing off against a Mirage towards the end of the game, you’ll want to make sure yourself or your Crypto teammate is already planning to use his drone.

  • Cryptic spray-painted signs appear in latest Apex Legends Season 6 teaser – Dexerto

Cryptic spray-painted signs appear in latest Apex Legends Season 6 teaser Respawn / Reddit u/linuxdriverMysterious new spray-painted messages have started to pop up in Apex Legends, and all signs (literally) point to them being teasers for Season 6 the next new character – Rampart. The name ‘Rampart’ was first mentioned in the very first leaks for Apex Legends, all the way back in February 2019. However, it was unclear what the character looked like or what their abilities would be. Since then, many more leaks and information have come out about this shadowy legend from dataminers, who claimed back in July that spray-painted teasers reading ‘All Hail Sheila’, believed to be Rampart’s first name, would be appearing on the map before Season 6. It seems that their predictions were correct, as Apex leaker Biast12 has now shared videos of spray-painted signs praising ‘Sheila’ found around the Drill Site on World’s Edge. The first sign tweeted by Biast does indeed read ‘All Hail Sheila,’ further reinforcing the theory that this will be the Legend’s real name, and ‘Rampart’ is just a stand-in, a codename of sorts. That name isn’t the only thing sprayed on the Drill Site signs though; there are also ones with ‘SHOP’ painted in green along with an ‘R’ symbol that’s become associated with Rampart from various leaks in the past. Nothing is set in stone at the time of writing, but all of these clues put together definitely make a strong case for Sheila/Rampart being the next new legend to arrive in Apex Legends for Season 6. There’s also the matter of the spray paint itself; numerous leaks have pointed to Respawn adding in a feature that’ll allow players to spray pre-set decals on the map, similar to other games that have that sort of mechanic. While that’s still to be confirmed, this is at least in-game proof that something like that exists, but whether or not it’ll be added, and when, remains to be seen. Whatever is going to happen in the game’s next chapter, we’ll probably be getting more information soon, as Apex tweeted out a cryptic teaser (surprise, surprise) for something happening on August 6. The start of a season in Apex is usually when we see new Legends added to the game. So what do you think, will the mysterious Rampart finally be revealed to be Sheila? You can keep track of all the teaser’s we’ve gotten so far, what they could mean, and when to expect the next one via our Apex Legends Season 6 teaser hub.

  • Cryptic Blisk clue discovered in Apex Legends Season 6 Rampart teaser – Dexerto

Cryptic Blisk clue discovered in Apex Legends Season 6 Rampart teaser EAMore spray-painted Apex Legends teasers have cropped up in World’s Edge, but this time linking Season 6 debutant, Rampart, to Titanfall 2’s ruthless mercenary, Kuben Blisk. Leaks of Rampart date all the way back to the beginning of Apex Legends. Files pertaining to who we now know to be an ‘expert modder’ have painted a pretty vivid picture of what to expect when Season 6 launches on August 18. But following the Season 6 trailer — which unveiled Rampart for all the world to see — some cryptic teasers have been dropping, providing a glimpse into the Legend’s lore and her intentions. Mostly dotted around Drill Site, the most prominent of the spray-painted messages reads “All hail Sheila,” which we understand to be Rampart’s trusty weapon — spotted in the ‘Boosted’ Season 6 trailer. Rampart linked to Blisk? Alongside the previous teasers, more spray-painted signs have cropped up in Fragment, both of which resemble the puzzling character, Kuben Blisk. Blisk, a ruthless mercenary from Titanfall 2, is said to be the leader of the Apex Predators and is speculated to be a part of The Syndicate — a secretive group who supposedly moderate the goings-on within the Apex Games. Both spray paintings have Blisk’s face, with a message that reads “Won’t let ya down” followed by Rampart’s signature. The first of the two teasers even places a crown above Blisk’s head, while the second has the message “Not sorry” painted adjacent to the mysterious mural. Exactly what Rampart’s link to Blisk is remains to be seen, but given that she made a name for herself in underground fight clubs, it’s likely that the pair have some shady motives to shake-up the Apex Games come August 18.

  • Crazy Valkyrie ‘super launch’ exploit throws players across the map in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Crazy Valkyrie ‘super launch’ exploit throws players across the map in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentA new Valkyrie Ultimate exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that launches players across the entire map in a matter of seconds. Over the past few seasons, Valkyrie has risen up to become one of the strongest characters in Apex Legends, sitting at an impressive 10% pick rate. With unmatched mobility from her jetpack, AoE disruption from her Tactical, and of course her ability to scan beacons as a Recon Legend, the Winged Avenger can offer a tremendous amount of power to any squad. However, despite all of these strengths, it’s her Ultimate that receives the most praise as it makes it possible to reposition an entire squad in an instant and escape dangerous situations. Well, if that wasn’t powerful enough, a new exploit has been discovered that allows Valkyrie to propel her teammates across the map at insane speeds, using her Skyward Dive. Valkyrie Ultimate exploit propels players across the map Apex Legends YouTuber RossBobSquirrel has discovered an exploit involving Valkyrie’s Ultimate that makes it possible to launch a teammate across the entire map in seconds. Following a number of specific steps, any teammates that are attached to Valkyrie’s Skyward Dive will be propelled forward at an unbelievable speed, allowing them to travel huge distances. While accurate enemies can track the movement of a typical Valk Ultimate and land some shots, this exploit makes it impossible for opponents to output any damage on those using Skyward Dive. It’s worth noting that Valkyrie does not receive a boost from this glitch, only the attached teammate attached the Ultimate. So, anyone using this exploit will be isolated from their squad, making them a vulnerable target. While this exploit isn’t extremely powerful, it does have its uses for escaping enemy squads or transitioning to the other side of the map. However, as it’s unlikely to provide players with a significant advantage, the devs probably won’t make it a priority to fix this anytime soon. Keep in mind, though, that Respawn has been cracking down on players using exploits and glitches, so using this bug in-game may result in your account being banned or temporarily suspended.

  • “CRAZY” teleport spot on Olympus gives Loba an easy escape in Apex Legends – Dexerto

“CRAZY” teleport spot on Olympus gives Loba an easy escape in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends player has found a brilliant spot to use Loba’s teleport ability that takes her across Olympus in no time and can be used in a variety of different situations. Loba has been a fan-favorite since her introduction in Season 5 despite the fact her Burgler’s Best Friend Tactical ability — which lets her teleport around the map — has been pretty hit and miss when it comes to working in matches since release. Despite assuring us the ability has been fixed in updates, it still seems to flat out not work the majority of the time. But, when it does, we get glimpses of what the Translocating Thief could be if she were able to operate at her full potential — including this impressive new spot to take advantage of on Olympus. What makes this handy spot so impressive is the number of tries it probably took to get the toss right, and then to get the bracelet to actually work for a clip. To break it down: on a path leading from Energy Depot to Gardens, there is a spot where you can throw Loba’s tactical so you’ll end up in Rift, a rotation that would take far longer to hoof on foot. As you see in the clip above, coming from Gardens there’s a spot where the route takes a 90-degree turn with a couple of supply bins placed just on the edge. If you get on top of the bins and aim at the right spot, it’s possible to toss the bracelet over into Rift and quickly port over. This spot is great if you need to quickly escape a fight or ambush. Yes, you might be leaving your teammates behind, but you can always go back and get their beacons (or at least tell them you’re going to as you make your escape). It could also be handy in the early game if you’re trying to scout for loot and to keep an eye on the movements of other teams, as long as you don’t go getting into any 1v3s away from your crew. Also, it seems to be a one-way trip, so don’t waste your time trying to make the same throw in reverse. Like we mentioned though, Loba’s tactical still comes with its fair share of issues, even as we approach her one-year anniversary of her being added in Apex Legends. Still, if you find yourself in the right spot at the right time on Olympus, why not give it a shot? The worst thing that could happen is the ability doesn’t catch, and you have to keep trekking on foot.

  • Crazy Pirate Ship LTM is exactly what Apex Legends needs – Dexerto

Crazy Pirate Ship LTM is exactly what Apex Legends needs Respawn EntertainmentFighting to the death in the middle of the sky on pirate ships might not sound like everybody’s idea of fun, but for Apex Legends this fan-made concept looks absolutely perfect. Respawn Entertainment have introduced a number of exciting limited time modes and events in their popular battle royale game since it launched back in February, giving players the chance to play in Duos, Legendary Hunt and more. However, while those ideas have been enjoyed by members of the game’s online community already, there’s no doubt that more LTMs would be greeted with open arms, and this fan-made pirate ship concept might be exactly what the game needs. The idea for the mode was first posted to the Apex Legends subreddit on December 19, as user FrozenFroh laid out their vision for a future game mode in the first-person shooter title. Aside from the obvious fact that there are two pirate ships flying around in the air, as seen in the screenshot below, the redditor also posted a few rules and features that should be included – if something like this was ever to be added to the game. “Pirate Ship. No guns, Explosives, Melee and Jump-pads! But don’t fall in the lava,” they posted, with the only weapons allowed coming in the form of grenades which can be used to blast your opponents in the fire depths below. In order to move from ship to ship, there are jump pads at the disposal of players. It would be something of a leap of faith, though, as the only thing found between both of the levitating vehicles would be molten lava and you wouldn’t want to fall down there. Just like many other interesting fan-made creations, though, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll ever see it added to the game. However, that doesn’t mean to say that something similar couldn’t be inspired by this LTM idea in the future.

  • Crazy Olympus rat spot in Apex Legends lets you hide off the edge of the map – Dexerto

Crazy Olympus rat spot in Apex Legends lets you hide off the edge of the map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Olympus map features plenty of locations players can use to get a competitive advantage over their foes, but this secret rat spot is perfect for hiding from your enemies. Using secret or lesser-known locations in Apex Legends can result in a number of dominant victories, especially if you catch your competitors off guard. While having a fantastic aim and good game sense will drastically increase your overall kill potential, there are times when going on the offensive can lead to an untimely death. In fact, sometimes it’s best to disengage from the game’s action and go on the defensive. This is especially true if you’re a member down or your squad is reeling from a previous engagement. Whether you’re looking to get the drop on your foes or wish to patch yourself up before the next team fight, this sneaky Olympus location will enable you to do both. Apex Legends secret Olympus rat spot While some of the best Apex Legends map locations give players long sightlines that are perfect for long-range sniping, there are times when hiding is your only option. Ratting may not be the most satisfying way to win a game, but sometimes it’s all you can do to increase the amount of RP or overall placement within a match. Well, one Apex Legends player has showcased a well-hidden spot on the game’s Olympus map. In a video posted on the official Reddit page, PurpIeAstro showcased how Legends can climb around the walls of Bonsai Plaza. This is done by running up the wall and bypassing the fence that is meant to keep players from falling off the map. If done correctly, you can step onto the ledge that runs along the outside of the Bonsai Plaza wall. While this location doesn’t give you any particularly good sightlines, it can prove to be a decent hiding spot. This is especially true if the final circle ends around this location. So, next time you’re dropping into Olympus, be sure to check this spot for sneaky squads or utilize it yourself for some easy third parties.

  • Crazy Kraber play proves Apex Legends Worlds Edge is a sniper’s paradise – Dexerto

Crazy Kraber play proves Apex Legends Worlds Edge is a sniper’s paradise Apex Legends’ World’s Edge is known to be a sniper’s paradise and this insane Kraber clip proves just that, as this player gives John Wick a run for his money. Ever since World’s Edge debuted with Season 3, players have been yearning for Kings Canyon to make a reappearance. Although we caught a glimpse of the Legends’ original stomping ground with the Fight or Fright event, we’re yet to see it returned to its former glory days. World’s Edge boasts skyscraping structures mixed with long lines of sight, rendering it a haven for snipers to take aim and catch unsuspecting players off-guard. With the introduction of the Charge Rifle, players have been enjoying a hitscan–esque sniper to beam down enemies across the map. Even after multiple nerfs, the Charge Rifle still holds its worth in the Apex Games. Although, it’s the Kraber that has stole the limelight in this clip, as one player demonstrated their proficiency with the bolt-action rifle. ESAU_Shalmus showcased their sniping skills by landing an incredible nine hits with just eight bullets — yes, you read that right. Shalmus landed two long-distance shots on an enemy squad before hopping on Pathfinder’s trusty zipline to utilize the floating crates in Train Yard. As their teammates continued to push the enemy squads, the Redditor displayed their knack with the Legendary sniper by showing a combination of patience and precision — two traits necessary for any sniper to be worth their salt. While the clip itself is just one long highlight reel, the crowning moment has to go to the point where the player is wreaking havoc from above before landing a collateral to secure his squad the win. After posting their feat to the Apex Legends subreddit, the clip was lapped up by the community— with plenty of upvotes and a wealth of candid reactions. Since it looks like World’s Edge is here to stay, we’ll all be hoping to queue up with someone who can provide a level of cover fire akin to Shalmus.

  • Crazy Apex Legends Season 14 glitch is giving wrong abilities to every Legend – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends Season 14 glitch is giving wrong abilities to every Legend With the release of Apex Legends Season 14, players are hyped to get into some of the new content. However, players that locked in their favorite character may end up with an unfortunate surprise. Glitches are an illusive thing for game developers, especially when it comes to continually patched games. Sometimes they don’t come to light until an update goes live. Some Apex Legends players are experience a bizarre bug. They lock in one Legend, but get the abilities of another. Since the Apex Legends Season 14 update went live, players have been experiencing some odd happenings after locking in their character. For instance, Ash having Loba’s abilities, voice lines, and animations. Beyond just being a goofy bug, there are some very real gameplay ramifications here. When a Gibraltar is given the ability to use clones like Mirage, it can be very difficult to discern what’s what. This isn’t an isolated incident, either. There are multiple reports of players being affected by this bug in different ways. And it’s impossible to know which Legend’s abilities you’re stuck with until you’re already on the ground. When Bangalore can Bloodhound scan and Octane can toss out Fuse’s Knuckle Cluster, it’s hard to know what anyone’s going to attack you with. As for what’s causing this bug, it’s hard to say. Apex Legends has certainly had its fair share of game breaking bugs, some more serious than others. A bug involving crafting discovered in July made it impossible to do anything after crafting, essentially ruining the rest of the game for that player. While this bug isn’t game-breaking in the sense that it makes Apex Legends unplayable, it is extremely disruptive. At least it isn’t yet known what causes this bug, meaning that players can’t just pick and choose what Legends they want to “combine” using this strange glitch.

  • Crazy Apex Legends glitch teleports Bangalore during finishing move – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends glitch teleports Bangalore during finishing move Respawn EntertainmentA wild new bug is popping up in Apex Legends that apparently randomly teleports Bangalore while she’s using her finishing move on a downed enemy. Bangalore has been in Apex Legends since day one, and so has the battle royale’s ever-changing assortment of bugs and glitches that can appear during matches. Thankfully the game seems to be in a pretty good place right now, with nothing that we know of actually causing things to be unplayable, but a new bug is making things interesting for Bangalore players. Normally, when Bangalore uses her finisher, she pulls out her smoke grenade launcher and uses it to take out the unlucky downed enemy, with no teleportation involved whatsoever. This would be where the bug/glitch comes in. In the clip below from Reddit user ‘Regnis2005‘ goes through the motions; they get their teammate up, then decide to finish off the scum that dared challenge them to a firefight in Bunker in the first place. It’s during Bangalore’s finisher that this bug happens, just after she fires the smoke bomb to end off the animation, the confused player suddenly finds themselves somehow just outside of the Bunker’s entrance. Luckily, the bug didn’t teleport them too far and they were able to link back up with their team, but it is an incredibly odd thing to have happen in the first place. Exactly what caused this to happen is unclear, because it definitely doesn’t trigger every single time she uses the move. It could have been the small corner of the map they were on, or maybe the animations just don’t play well with the Bunker’s underground rooms. Either way, players joked that the bug was probably a more reliable teleport option than Loba’s bracelets, which have been bugged to the point of practically not working at all since the legend came out. Respawn will probably come out with a fix for this bizarre bug soon, if they’re not already aware of it and working on one already. So stick with Dexerto and @TitanfallBlog on Twitter for all the latest Apex news.

  • Crazy Apex Legends glitch makes Octane tiny and a nightmare to fight – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends glitch makes Octane tiny and a nightmare to fight Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been left stunned as a bizarre mini Octane bug sees the speedy daredevil changed to 1/10 his normal size, but take on a new level of deadliness. Apex Legends is no stranger to some pretty bizarre bugs and glitches. Recent months have seen players stuck in a downed state even after being revived, as well as a bug that stops Wraith’s Tactical from operating in any capacity. This new one, though, appears to be in a league all of its own. Shared by u/_Komodo_ on January 14, the glitch shows a bizarre glitch in which an enemy running Octane is 1/10 their normal size. The speed and mobility of the legend are all the same, though, and they are able to swiftly eliminate the player and their teammates. All of the enemies (barring Octane, of course) were normal size, so it’s not clear what caused the problems. Octane’s tiny hit box, though, makes it near impossible to counter. The player who encountered the bug asked whether it’s a “hack or a glitch” and, at the time of writing, the answer is not clear. Many players were stunning upon seeing the problem, commenting that they’ve never seen it before. One even joked that a new LTM should constitute only mini legends, in a game mode that would almost certainly improve participants’ accuracy. There were one or two players who claimed similar had happened to them though, including with other legends. One said: “I had this once! I was a tiny Wraith, not even tall enough to properly look inside a looting bin. I thought I was crazy, but now it appears it’s an actual bug.” Despite the scarcity of the bug, it’s one of the craziest and most difficult to counter we’ve ever seen in Apex. Hopefully, Respawn have a quick patch lined up to solve it but, as of the publication of this article, they have not publicly responded to the glitch.

  • Crazy Apex Legends glitch lets players visit mysterious airship island – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends glitch lets players visit mysterious airship island Respawn EntertainmentA bizarre new glitch found in Apex Legends allows players to escape the intended playable area in the firing range, and make the short trip across the water to reach the strange island offshore. The firing range in Apex Legends is located on the same planet as the original map, Kings Canyon, but is, of course, a much smaller area, just meant for players to warm up their shot and practice with the various legends. Just visible outside of the main firing range, there is another small island, with a large airship on it and not much else. Given its distance from the playable area, it was presumed to be unreachable. But, a couple of smart (and dedicated) players made it their missing to reach the mysterious island, and pulled it off too, using some trickery with Pathfinder’s grapple combined with Caustic’s gas canisters. Reddit user u/XeDevn shows how they do it, by placing two canisters next to each other at a high point on the firing range. Then, simply firing the grapple at the canisters while Caustic moves very slightly inside it, sends the canister flying out into the distance – with Pathfinder attached. It looks like this is the one and only way to reach the island, at least that’s been found so far, but the results once you get there aren’t all that exciting. The mystery ship itself seems to merely be a prop, and not a fully rendered one either, as it’s not solid, so characters will simply ghost through it. There’s also no hidden teasers or easter eggs, like the Nessies spotted on the firing range. However, the player who reached the island did find a tower you could climb which has more firing range targets, that behave the same as the proper ones. Given that the island isn’t complete with content or proper objects, it’s clear that Respawn didn’t actually intend for anyone to actually reach this area of the map. They may look into patching the trick, although it’s also pretty harmless.

  • Crazy Apex Legends exploits lets Rampart access Vaults without a key – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends exploits lets Rampart access Vaults without a key Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a way to break into the high-tier loot Vaults of World’s Edge without having to find a key, since all you need is a bit of help from Rampart’s walls and Sheila. The quick-witted Modder has been a fan-favorite early in Season 6, as the new Legend comes equipped with a ton of tools to keep enemies at bay in fights and invaluable defense to hold off incoming attackers. But her ability kit has been causing a few bugs since she was introduced in Apex, leading some players to get random crashes or causing strange interactions with other Legends’ abilities. Now, the community is finding that Rampart can be used to glitch inside of Vaults by using her Emplaced Minigun Sheila while an Amped Cover wall pushes her character model through the door. ‘Meanmanjr’ showed how Season 6’s new character can etch her way into the locked cabin to pillage everything inside. However, like the user showed, by combining the bug with a teammate’s Death Totem, Rampart will have a way out of the Vault after she’s done taking all the valuables. Essentially, they placed Sheila as close as they could to the Vault’s door before putting an Amped Cover immediately below them, so as to glitch through the wall when they hopped back on the minigun. This let them rummage around the Vault as they pleased, while having a Thermite Grenade in hand to kill themselves and respawn them outside where the Death Totem was placed. Without Revenant, Rampart could still make her way into the Vault, but wouldn’t have viable ways of getting out alive. The Full Boar Cub showed how to do this trick too, and instead extended the bug to find an alternate way out without Rev. Full Boar Club also showed how the trick can be used to potentially, but unrealistically, loot all three Vaults on World’s Edge by abusing the exploit. This is something that caught attention in the Apex community, and something that Respawn could move quickly to resolve before the trend catches onto more crafty Ramparts.

  • Crazy Apex Legends bug that changes your legend mid-game still not fixed – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends bug that changes your legend mid-game still not fixed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players can’t believe a terrible bug that completely changes the legend you’re playing with has resurfaced, with many urging Respawn Entertainment to roll out a fix. A number of in-game issues have been discovered since Season 2 started, although unlike recent problems with Revenant’s hitbox and legends being able to use melee attacks when knocked, this has been a problem featured in the game for quite some time. It’s unclear as to how regular, or rare, this glitch is but the impact of it is quite shocking – and could prevent players from being crowned Champions of the arena as well. Many Apex Legends tend to stick to one main character, perfecting their skills and adapting their game based on the abilities each legend has at their disposal. If you’re that type of player, and not one who likes to switch things up and battle with different characters regularly, you might be annoyed to run into this respawn bug. Essentially, once players have been knocked down and eliminated, they have noticed – as seen in a Reddit post from user RCuber – the Respawn Ship can sometimes drop them back into the Apex Games as a totally different legend. The problem was discovered, and covered by Dexerto, back in November 2019 where one member of the community noticed a teammate who mains Octane had respawned as Gibraltar. This time, though, it has impacted two different legends, as a Mirage came back into the action as a Bloodhound. As of the time of writing, there is no mention of this particular problem being fixed in a future update – according to Respawn’s Trello board. There’s no doubt, though, that players would like to see developers look closely at this problem and resolve it sooner rather than later. After all, it’s been around for quite some time already.

  • Crazy Apex Legends bug lets Pathfinder use cargo bots to super launch – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends bug lets Pathfinder use cargo bots to super launch Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends bug is giving Pathfinder a way to instantly ‘super launch’ by grappling cargo bots, and players have found a way to use it to their advantage. There are plenty of movement tricks in Apex that give players another tool in their arsenal to outplay opponents or get an upper hand in the battle royale. But sometimes, people stretch the limits of what’s allowed in Apex to find inventive new ways to move around the battlefield. Even so, players will sometimes come across a glitch that breaks what’s normally possible in the game and make use of it before Respawn Entertainment has a chance to patch it out. For people keeping up with the latest tricks in Apex, this one could pop up in your games seeing as it’s pretty simple to reproduce. Apex Legends super launch glitch Redditor ‘Dirty_Skirty’ found a bizarre super launch bug after using Pathfinder to grapple cargo bots. Though most of these launches eventually lead to a quick death, there’s some applications that could be useful. “It’s all about timing,” the user said. “If you jump the second your grapple attaches, you’re guaranteed a perfectly vertical launch.” They said these vertical launches will drop players off near where they took off, whereas catapulting horizontally will fling you clear off the map in any direction – unless you hit Turbine Mountain, Dirty_Skirty said. Your mileage may vary with the glitch, but it’s evident that this bug can send you higher than a jump tower in no time at all. Even without these occasional glitches, Pathfinder has always been a favorite among players who want to flex their mobility skills. But Respawn could give the Legend a closer look in the next patch to fix the bug should Apex players abuse the super launch glitch.

  • Crazy Apex Legends bug lets Loba teleport inside solid objects – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends bug lets Loba teleport inside solid objects Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a crazy glitch that allows Loba to teleport inside a solid object and stay inside forever – whether she wants to or not. Loba was introduced as Apex Legends’ newest hero at the start of season five, and she has quickly made her mark on the game’s ever-changing meta. She hasn’t yet achieved the status of the most popular character, but her unique abilities have players trying to master the new legend. One such ability, Burglar’s Best Friend, allows her to toss a set of bracelets around the map and teleport to where they land. This gives her the chance to go on flanks and reach places that some legends could only dream of. Yet, there is an issue that is allowing Loba to get stuck inside some solid objects and unable to get out. That might sound cool and all, being able to hide in a solid object, but as Reddit user Ed_da_head pointed out, it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The Redditor had attempted to throw the bracelet over one of the boxes in Sorting Factory but they game locked them inside. Loba was able to wriggle around inside the box and watch enemy players run away, seemingly confused about where she had gone. However, being inside the box wasn’t going to lead Ed_da_head to become the Apex champion. Instead, the game dropped them into a crushed and eliminated them from the match. Other players pointed out that there are other spots around the two maps that Loba can actually get inside, but unlike these boxes, she can get out of those spots. That, however, is more of an exploit than an unusual glitch. As of writing, the issue hasn’t appeared on the developer’s Trello board of problems that are being looked into, so it’s unknown if Respawn is actually aware of it or if they have a way to fix it.

  • Crazy Apex Legends bug allows you to choose a new character mid-match – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends bug allows you to choose a new character mid-match Despite being locked into a role before loading into any given lobby, a bizarre Apex Legends glitch is giving players the ability to swap characters once they’ve dropped into World’s Edge. With 11 characters currently playable in Apex Legends, there’s always plenty of unique abilities to take with you in the next match. Choosing between the likes of Pathfinder’s powerful mobility or Wraith’s get-out-of-jail-free Dimensional Rift can often be a tricky decision however. Thankfully, players might not have to deliberate much longer as a ridiculous new glitch allows you to swap your chosen character in the middle of a match and spawn in as any Legend in the heat of the moment. While players have unintentionally respawned as the wrong Legends in the past, this new glitch allows you to pick and choose from the full lineup of characters and change your appearance to match. With 11 squads remaining in a January 12 match, ‘MegaMango2004’ was able to enter the character select screen while still in-game. From here, they were then able to select a new Legend and completely alter their appearance in the game. Previews failed to load for each character when hovering over their respective icons in-game, indicating the bug absolutely wasn’t an intended aspect of the match. Despite this, the player was able to crack their knuckles as Mirage and don the gloves of Octane all in a matter of seconds. Maintaining their loadout regardless of which Legend they swapped to, the player outlined how the bug was essentially random. With no clearcut means in which to replicate the character-changing effect in-game, it seems as though the glitch was a freak occurrence. “I didn’t mean to do it but I was in the firing range and was invited by my friends to play and this happened,” the player explained. There’s no telling how MegaMango2004 even figured out they were able to change characters in the first place. However, there’s no denying being able to use different abilities to the Legend you’re playing as would throw any opposing squad for a loop. Respawn Entertainment has yet to respond to the bizarre glitch, however, if players continue to exploit the feature with greater prevalence, they’ll have no choice but to implement a bug fix in the immediate future. With the fourth season of Apex right around the corner, perhaps a new character is on the way that could give players another option to pick from with this quirky, but probably game-breaking gameplay bug.

  • Crazy Apex Legends bug blasts player so high they might never land – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends bug blasts player so high they might never land Apex Legends players have seen some strange things happen in Respawn Entertainment’s game since it released, but this flying glitch might be the funniest yet. At the time of writing, the game’s developers have not mentioned anything about an issue with respawn ships on their official Trello board, where bugs in the game are usually noted, but something doesn’t seem exactly right about them in-game. There are a number of red balloon jump towers dotted around the World’s Edge map, just like its predecessor King’s Canyon, allowing those involved in the Apex Games to be launched into the air and start gliding around again. However, one Reddit user – ShtephenAShmith – posted some footage to the game’s subreddit on December 24, showing exactly why people should perhaps avoid using the relaunch balloons when the respawn ship is nearby. The player ran into an issue with the feature that saw his character blasted off into the sky after colliding with the ship. With just 16 squads left at the time of takeoff, shooting into the sky like a hot air balloon, the bug will have certainly bided the player some time away from enemies as they soared around in the air. The clip shot right up the subreddit, attracting over 5,000 upvotes on the platform and a whole host of jokes from members of the online community. There seems to be a general theme surrounding the comments, too, as one lingering question has been left unanswered by the poster… Did they ever land? “Some say he’s still flying til this day,” one posted, with another joking: “They say 1 in 5 people don’t even make it to the ground.” There was even a suggestion from some users that the bug could have sent him all the way back to King’s Canyon, but those reports – unfortunately – are unconfirmed.

  • Craziest Apex Legends hack ever gives cheater super speed – Dexerto

Craziest Apex Legends hack ever gives cheater super speed Respawn EntertainmentWinning a match on Apex Legends can be tough at the best of times, but when another player is cheating it becomes virtually impossible, as some fans of the battle royale game found out while playing on World’s Edge. Apex Legends is one of many battle royale games that have taken over the world of gaming, launching back in 2019 to immediate success, with hundreds of thousands of players logging on in hopes of outlasting their opponents and securing a victory, and becoming an Apex Champion. As with any PC game though, hackers are always trying to find ways to give themselves an unfair advantage over opponents and make things easier, as Reddit user ‘KralRindo’ found out the hard way while playing the game on March 3. Like any battle royale, movement around the map is key as you try to find enemies to eliminate and make sure you don’t get taken down by the circle, which shrinks the available play area to encourage late-game battles to find who will truly be the last team standing. One Apex Legends cheater has taken the idea of movement to a crazy new level, zooming around World’s Edge at breakneck speeds never before seen in the game, but of course, using a cheat to make it happen. In a clip uploaded to the Apex Legends subreddit, user KralLindo was stunned to watch a player run across the map at lightning speed, crossing areas in seconds that would take most players minutes. On top of that, the hack also provided auto-aiming which immediately locked his crosshairs onto an enemy, the ability to heal in incredibly quick time, and even a way to clip through solid objects, while also seeing every enemy’s location. Unsurprisingly, the player who uploaded it called on developers Respawn Entertainment to “please do something” about the cheaters, saying he was “not having any fun while playing this game” in its current state. The good news is that the developers are well-known for stamping down on cheaters and hackers, with Respawn handing out waves of bans to those who have been purposely exploiting the game. They have yet to address this particular issue, but it’s likely they will in the near future.

  • Crafty Apex Legends trick makes ziplines much safer to use – Dexerto

Crafty Apex Legends trick makes ziplines much safer to use Respawn EntertainmentTaking a zipline in Apex Legends gives players unprecedented amounts of mobility for rotations, flanks and the like, but it also makes them susceptible targets to other people – luckily, there’s a crafty way to maneuver the lines more safely. The second you hear someone attach to a line, whether it’s the vertical wire of a nearby launch balloon or the horizontal trajectory of Pathfinder’s ultimate, people know where an opponent is going to be for the next few seconds. While there aren’t many options for the ziplining player to deter from that painful reality, a friendly Pathfinder can make the situation much easier to cope with. User ‘acd_18’ showed how easy it was to throw a wrench in the opponent’s plans by doubling the amount of ziplines to give them the best chance at pushing their attack. “I told my friend to throw his ult to make it a double zip, it makes it almost impossible to get hit if you’re ever trying to push. Felt bad for the Bangalore lol,” the player wrote. The idea here was to introduce a new variable during the ride. Since the Zipline Gun can be adjusted before firing, the lineup let two wires run near each other. This gave the team on the low ground a chance to safely get to the other side by constantly jumping from one line to the other to mess with the attacker’s aim. Though not that much of an improvement for opponents that are aiming down their flanks, the two lines gave the duo just enough wiggle room to push a Bangalore who was holding down the angle. What ensued was an epic scene that featured the player bobbing and weaving through a hail of gunfire. During the entire ride, they only got hit once, which likely wouldn’t have been the case if they had attempted to ride a singular zipline. “I had to message the guy after cause that felt so bad, he was like ‘I never seen that so I just ran’,” acd_18 said of the ridiculous play that worked to perfection. Apex Legends players who want to try this out for themselves should know that it’ll take just a bit of courage and good timing to properly pull off, but can be a powerful tool to take in the Arena.

  • Crafty Apex Legends trick makes Gravity Cannons more versatile than ever before – Dexerto

Crafty Apex Legends trick makes Gravity Cannons more versatile than ever before Respawn EntertainmentGravity cannons are a staple of Apex Legends’ Storm Point map. They feature prominently in its design and help players evade and engage with enemies around the map. While they’re meant to send you in one direction at a constant speed, this trick changes the game significantly. Apex Legends is home to some of the most unique movement features in all of gaming. From the speed demon Octane and his signature Jump Pad to Pathfinder’s iconic grappling hook, so much of the game is rooted in finding fun new ways to move around the map. There were specific Legend abilities that made grav cannons a complex escape tool, but this non-specific trick opens up the field in a whole new way. Apex Legends Gravity Cannon trick is a handy escape tool If you’re on the the run and need to make a quick play to get to safety, there’s not many that will confound your enemies like this. Instead of running directly into a Gravity Cannon and letting it jet you into the sky, slide up behind one of the diagonal arms and trip the animation from that position. Once the cannon begins its launch, simply jump into the air and let the machine’s recoil send you flying backwards over your opponent’s head. Lennonxxg demonstrated this technique using one of the lifts outside of Stormcatcher. They go from being hunted by an Ash to being over her head and holding the high ground before anyone really has time to react. This trick will work with any of the various built-in escape machines, but this specific one does have the most convenient placement, as the natural bounce will put you back on top of a building. Whether you’re trying to buy some time or you want to get into the action, there’s no shortage of ways to put this to use all across Storm Point.

  • Crafty Apex Legends trick lets you cancel gravity cannon mid-flight – Dexerto

Crafty Apex Legends trick lets you cancel gravity cannon mid-flight Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered how to cancel momentum from the Gravity Cannon, allowing you to drop down wherever you like. One of the new features on Storm Point are the Gravity Cannons that fling players across the map. Usually, these send you from one cannon to another, in a path that’s the same no matter what. However, a pair of teammates found a way to cancel their momentum mid-air, allowing you to drop anywhere along the line. Apex Legends Gravity Cannon trick kills momentum The Reddit post above shows exactly what we’re talking about. First things first, you’ll need a cooperative teammate to make this trick work. Head into the Gravity Cannon together and launch close enough so you can hit your ally with a melee attack. Once you’re airborne, simply punch your teammate and you’ll drop right down. Read More: How to change reticle colors in Apex Legends – Normally, you end up at the other end of the cannon’s path when you use them and it’s not tough to predict where players will land. However, with this trick, you’re much more difficult to find. Instead of landing in an enemy ambush, you could be the one pulling off your own sneak attack instead. The Gravity Cannons have added a whole new dimension to Apex for Season 11 but the ability to cancel the flight could be one of the most valuable discoveries so far. Now, you won’t be able to predict enemies’ flight paths but, by the same token, they won’t be able to predict yours either.

  • CouRage claims Apex Legends is “way better than Warzone” for one simple reason – Dexerto

CouRage claims Apex Legends is “way better than Warzone” for one simple reason Respawn / YouTube: CouRage / Raven SoftwareJack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has taken a pot shot at his old flame, Warzone, as his reignited love affair with Apex Legends continues; according to the 100 Thieves co-owner, Respawn’s battle royale is “way better” than its Call of Duty arch-rival, for one simple reason. The war between rival Warzone and Apex Legends continues to heat up, as the two swollen communities look to emerge as the number one battle royale. Warzone has taken a hit in recent weeks. A lackluster Season 4 launch stifled the Raven Software-helmed game’s momentum, and saw an exodus of streaming stars like TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, and more, many of whom have been leading advocates for the Call of Duty title. On top of that, Respawn is on the verge of dishing up what looks like another stellar content drop in Season 9, complete with a new Legend — “Seer” — as well as a huge slate of buffs and nerfs, and even map changes. Now, CouRage has twisted the knife even more. The 100 Thieves co-owner, who just hit ‘Masters’ in Respawn’s franchise game, has made a bold claim: According to him, Apex Legends is “way better than Warzone.” CouRage, who’s dubbed himself “the greatest Wraith player in the history of Apex Legends,” returned to Respawn’s battle royale on June 28, and quickly battled his way up the ranked ladder to “Masters” on July 29. The whole time, he said, he was having loads of fun; a lot more, CouRage added, than Warzone had been coughing up in the past few months. The difference, Dunlop explained, was Apex’s ranked lobbies. On Warzone, skill-based matchmaking is met with disdain. In the Apex Legends community, SBMM is welcomed as part of the ranked ecosystem. “Who would’ve thought that playing in skill-based matchmaking lobbies with a rank would make people want to play more!” he tweeted on July 29. “Mind-blowing!” It’s crazy to see how many people are talking about how much they enjoy playing Apex Legends ranked… Who would’ve thought that playing in skill based matchmaking lobbies WITH a rank would make people want to play MORE! Mind blowing thought 🤯 — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) July 29, 2021 CouRage continued: “It’s definitely the best battle royale available.” “New Apex Legends season about to drop, ranked mode is so fun. Ranked arenas about to release, new legend coming, and huge balance patch about to happen,” the 100 Thieves star continued. “Wayyyyy better than Warzone currently.” On top of the huge ranked differences, CouRage admits he’s “always had a soft spot” for Respawn’s ever-expanding Titanfall-inspired battle royale. The YouTuber has been watching Warzone “decline” for the past few months. Because of that, he began canvassing other titles to potentially jump ship to. Over the months, the Apex Legends community continued to pop up. It was an easy call, CouRage said, to make the swap. “I’m back on this game [Apex], in part, due to the love the community has always, always shown me on Twitter. Warzone has had its ups and downs, and I love Apex Legends… I’ve always had a soft spot for it. I was at the venue when it f**king launched! There’s such a dedicated community, it’s crazy.” He had one last Warzone barb too: “I love Warzone, but damn. We get cheated on, we have stream snipers coming after us. [That game] is at an all-time low.”

  • Couple who met playing Apex Legends are now getting married – Dexerto

Couple who met playing Apex Legends are now getting married Respawn Entertainment/Reddit: FurdeanA long-distance couple who met playing Apex Legends are getting married and they’ve shared the exciting news with the community. While most players jump into Apex Legends for the gunplay, movement, and powerful characters, there’s always the opportunity to form friendships with people from across the globe. Every time you queue, you’re thrust into the Outlands with a random set of allies, and although most are forgotten as soon as the match is finished, on rare occasions long-lasting relationships are formed. Well, that was certainly the case for Reddit user Furdean and his partner, who met in-game and finally met in person back in September. As Furdean is from India and his partner is from Italy, she traveled 6,165 kilometers so they could finally see each other face to face. Since then, Furdean has proposed and the couple has revealed that they’re getting married. Apex Legends couple reveal they’re getting married Back in September, the news that Furdean and his partner had finally met in person received over 14,000 upvotes, with countless members of the community sending their love and congratulations. Now, Furdean has revealed that he decided to propose to his partner at the Taj Mahal, and she said yes. After dating for seven months, Furdean knew it was the right time to pop the question and chose the famous mausoleum as the location as he “wanted to do something special for her”. Of course, hundreds of Apex players have taken the time to wish them both “congratulations” and “a long and happy marriage”. Some even made a few jokes about the price of the ring, wondering “how many Apex coins” it cost off the store. This amazing news has put a smile on the face of Apex players everywhere, so let’s hope Furdean and his partner provide another update when the ceremony comes around.

  • Control Mode returning to Apex Legends with lots of changes and fixes – Dexerto

Control Mode returning to Apex Legends with lots of changes and fixes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has announced that Season 12’s LTM, Control, is coming back to Apex Legends during the new Awakening Collection event with some new features to liven things up. Apex Legends Season 13 is getting its newest Collection event starting on June 21, and it’s bringing more than just cosmetics this time around. The biggest highlights of the patch notes are Lifeline getting a massive buff and two popular weapons moving into the Replicator. Now, Respawn has also announced Control will be coming back during the Awakening Collection Event and will feature some improvements following its debut in Season 12. Apex Legends Control LTM returns It’s coming back, but it won’t be exactly how fans remember it. The biggest change to Control comes in the form of the new map that has been added to the rotation alongside Olympus and Storm Point. World’s Edge is making its debut in Control, with players capturing points around the Lava Siphon POI. Though Respawn only gave a glimpse of the new map in this trailer, it seems players can expect two control points to be located inside both of the far stations at Lava Siphon, with the third location being on the left hub that overlooks the middle station. It’s certainly been a while since Control has been playable in Apex Legends, as the LTM has been absent since Season 13 began in May. Additionally, there will be a few new changes made to Control for this new event: Introduce Ad Drones to Control for flavor & storytelling purposes, but yes, you can also shoot them. – Matchmaking improvement – Fill slots of missing players at the start of Control with new players to prevent imbalanced matches. – Added tabs to the About screen – seen in Lobby and accessible in Control matches. One of the new tabs has a breakdown of Ratings values. – The other has a breakdown of how the spawn system works. – – Those are certainly welcome changes to Control, with the Matchmaking Improvements, in particular, being a very nice addition. Players can look forward to this new and improved Control Mode as well as the new World’s Edge map when the Awakening Collection Event launches on June 21.

  • Confusing Apex Legends bug makes Caustic’s Gas Traps come alive – Dexerto

Confusing Apex Legends bug makes Caustic’s Gas Traps come alive Respawn EntertainmentCaustic’s Nox Gas Traps are leaving players stunned as a puzzling new bug is causing them to act independently in Apex Legends. Caustic drops into Respawn’s battle royale with a kit based entirely around poisoning enemies with noxious gas and dealing damage over time. However, he seems to be dropping into King’s Canyon with a new power in play as well — a bizarre glitch seems to be making Caustic’s Gas Traps come alive for some players, and it’s certainly leaving Apex fans scratching their heads. With only 11 squads left in the match, Reddit user ‘itsskitz’ and their squad were closing in on a winning effort during a March 20 broadcast. Dropping a Gas Trap on a nearby doorstep, the streamer was completely stunned as the deployable object instantly changed location. “What the f***,” he yelled after gasping in disbelief. Staring at the trap as it relocated across the street, the player couldn’t believe what they were seeing. “I’ve gotta get off. I’m done for the night” he joked before taking his headset off and walking away from his streaming setup. For seemingly no reason, the trap magically slid away from its initial placement. First gliding towards the Caustic-main before speeding off in another direction without explanation. There’s no telling exactly how the issue came to be, there’s a good chance it could come down to awkward interactions between the geometry of the map and the trap. With no official comment from the developers at Respawn Entertainment, it may be a while before a fix is implemented to keep Caustic’s abilities in line. Not the first questionable bug that came to light thanks to Caustic players recently, a March 10 bug showed how the Gas Traps can hilariously send other players flying across the map.

  • Conduit revealed as new legend for Apex Legends Season 19: Abilities – Dexerto

Conduit revealed as new legend for Apex Legends Season 19: Abilities Respawn/EAThe next legend to join the Apex Legends roster of characters has been revealed, and it’ll be Conduit at long last. So, here’s everything you need to know. Up until Apex Legends Season 16, Respawn had been adding a new legend to their battle royale with each new season. It meant that, without fail, players had something big and new to dig their teeth into and look to master for a little while. They decided to go away from that so they could put a bigger focus on evolving the meta. Fast forward through the two seasons since then and that has very much been the case. Season 17 added Ballistic as a new legend, while Season 18 was all about Revenant Reborn – a rework for the terrifying simulacrum that had haunted the battle royale for a while. Season 19, though, will include a new legend and we now know that it’ll be Conduit. And yes, that name should be familiar to long-time Apex fans. Conduit revealed as Apex Legends character for Season 19: Ignite Conduit was one of the first new legends outside of the original roster that leaked for the battle royale all the way back in early 2019. However, it’s taken until late 2023 for the character to become a reality. Conduit will be the new legend in Season 19, which is also known as Ignite, after she was revealed in the pre-season Stories from the Outlands video. Conduit abilities in Apex Legends As we saw in early leaks, Conduit’s abilities are focused on shields – both in helping her team and wiping away protection from enemies – and being a support player. Here are her confirmed abilities: Passive: Savior’s Speed: Gain a burst of speed when running toward teammates outside of tactical range – Tactical: Radiant Transfer: Send a surge of energy to a teammate generating temporary shields for them and Conduit when in danger – Ultimate: Energy Barricade: Deploy an array of shield-jamming devices which damage and slow enemies – Players will be able to test Conduit out once Season 19 launches on October 31, and that’ll also include an overhaul to Storm Point. Doesn’t it look pretty?

  • Concepts for Mirage heirlooms in Apex Legends keep getting wilder – Dexerto

Concepts for Mirage heirlooms in Apex Legends keep getting wilder The heirloom sets in Apex Legends are extremely popular among players for their unique design and homage to the characters’ lore – and now the fan base are brewing one up for Mirage. Respawn Entertainment launched their dive into heirloom sets with the launch of Wraith’s kunai that glows with a purple light around the edge. While there’s been significant backlash with the way players unlock the sets, they’re by far the one of the most sought after in-game items. As the devs continue to develop their battle royale, players can expect more Legends in the roster to eventually get their own heirlooms seeing how Apex players are grinding hours on end to unlock them. In anticipation of a Mirage heirloom sometime in the future, the Apex community are dissecting Mirage’s rich lore to see what an heirloom set for the Holographic Trickster might look like. As players know, Mirage has an unhealthy love for his special pork chop recipe – naturally making it fan-favorite to be included as a melee item. Along with a slab of killer meat, Reddit user ‘AidanTayTay’ also included an intro and kill quip that pays respects to the secret ingredient in Mirage’s recipe – which popular YouTuber BingingwithBabish put to the test. There’s a lot of defining characteristics about Mirage which range from his quick sense of humor to his humorously vain personality. To that end, people have been thinking that a more fitting heirloom would actually be Mirage himself. In the Apex Legends Season 3 Meltdown launch trailer, Mirage can be seen briefly appreciating his collectible figure after picking it up from the ground due to turbulence. This interaction was all that players needed to conceive a world where Mirage would actually take that figure into action. “I still like the idea of him having a miniature of himself more and it fits with his character and persona a bit more than using a porkchops that he loves to eat,” user ‘idontneedjug’ said. Another player had a throwback idea of giving Mirage a butterfly knife comb, which he could whip and flip while going through the Apex Games. “Personally, I think a cool heirloom for him would be a comb but like one of those butterfly knives combs that you can twirl around,” user ‘C_Williams25’ said. “It would be weird if you got killed by some dude with awesome hair and cool dance moves by getting smacked with a comb.” If Respawn Entertainment ever think it’s time to give Mirage an heirloom set, then they’ll have no shortage of ideas thanks to the Apex Games community.

  • Brilliant Apex Legends concept would seriously improve squad play – Dexerto

Brilliant Apex Legends concept would seriously improve squad play Apex Legends has taken the world by storm since its launch, February 4th. Despite the game’s astonishing records, some aspects still feature room for improvement. One Reddit user has proposed a new concept to help improve the Squad Overview feature in Apex Legends. Currently, the Apex Legends Squad overview doesn’t feature many details. This new idea proposes a more detailed design, while still being easy on the eye. This idea was first coined by graphic designer @theconnn3, who suggested being able to see teammate’s loadouts at a glance, which would undoubtedly help team play. In a Reddit post, u/cellander has made some tweaks to this idea, unveiling what he believes would be a great addition to the game. Still a rough concept, this design would give an even more detailed, but clean squad overview. Occasionally, Respawn’s community manager responds to cool ideas which the fans propose. Although, as of the time writing this, Respawn hasn’t provided any word on whether this will be implemented, or not. Prior to this concept, on Tuesday Respawn released an update on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Although, it didn’t introduce a great deal of changes, with the exception of necessary stability improvements. Currently, it is possible to see more details of your teammate’s loadout by opening the inventory, but you still can’t see their weapons, or Ultimate ability progression. Therefore, it’s unclear as to whether we could see this new Squad Overview idea added in-game, let alone when it’ll be releasing. However, considering the concept has been widely acclaimed from a host of fans, surpassing 6,000 upvotes, it’s got potential to become one of Respawn Entertainment’s priorities, alongside solving issues regarding the influx of crashes. With the emphasis on squad play on Apex Legends, there’s no doubt this would be a welcome addition, especially for those who play solo.

  • Complete Lifeline rework idea would give her the best Ult in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Complete Lifeline rework idea would give her the best Ult in Apex Legends Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has proposed a pretty interesting overhaul for Lifeline’s ultimate ahead of her supposed buff coming in Season 13’s next big update. As Respawn Entertainment has introduced new legends to Apex Legends, many fans of the battle royale’s original characters have proposed changes that would see them rise up the ranks once again. While the devs have stated before that they cannot outright copy these ideas, they do get the community’s wheels turning and often leads to renewed calls for buffs – and nerfs – where they see fit. In Season 13, plenty of players have done the spotlight on Lifeline again, seeing as Newcastle’s arrival has hampered her pick rate. Many want to see her Ultimate buffed, with one idea suggesting that she be able to craft as a part of her supply drop. Though, there are calls to scrap it altogether. One pretty powerful idea has been floated by Redditor wing6781, who suggested that Respawn should do away with the supply drop and replace it with an AOE healing ability. The idea, which has been named The Surgical Room, would allow Lifeline to place down her DOC drone and create an area in which teammates can be gradually healed and instantly revived in a 25-second period. Plus, if an enemy was to cross into the zone, they’d be ticked down by a small amount of damage every few seconds. Just like how the DOC drone works currently, the ability could be affected by enemy damage. Wing6781suggested that the drone would have 125 HP, meaning it wouldn’t last long if fired upon. Plus, the ultimate would take around three minutes to charge up. Now, if you think that sounds super strong, you’re not alone. While some other players are fans of the idea, there are concerns about how overpowered it would be. Way too overpowered, combine this with Wattson and Caustic and you basically have a team with no possible way to push ’em,” commented one. “Getting instantly revived is way too OP,” added another. As noted, Lifeline is supposedly being buffed as a part of this year’s summer event, but her Ultimate is hardly going to go under the knife, which is what some fans want.

  • Complete Lifeline rework idea would be perfect for Apex Legends Season 13 – Dexerto

Complete Lifeline rework idea would be perfect for Apex Legends Season 13 Respawn/EAAs Apex Legends players have been suggesting ways to buff Lifeline, dataminer KralRindo has got a pretty clever rework idea that would overhaul the Combat Medic’s ultimate. With each new season of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment brings in plenty of buffs and nerfs to the current crop of characters, and sometimes they’ll completely rework a character’s abilities to give them a much-needed lift. If a legend goes a few seasons without a change, fans will often start theorizing their own changes, suggesting them to the devs as a way to give their favorite character a lift. Recently, Lifeline has been in the spotlight a little, with a number of fans suggesting ways to give the battle royale’s sole healer some improvements. Many have targeted her revive ability as something that needs a massive tweak, but others want to see changes to her Ultimate. KralRindo, who is usually one for digging up leaks through the game’s files, suggested a Lifeline rework of their own, again with a pretty big focus on the healer’s ultimate. In the dataminer’s idea, the Combat Medic would revive teammates 25% faster than she does currently and maintain the revive shield. Though, it would only have 150 health, meaning it’s easily destroyed. Similarly, Lifeline’s DOC Drone would continue to heal teammates as normal, but would also have an offensive buff by dealing shock damage to enemies if they get too close. As noted, the switch up of the Ultimate would be the big things. With the idea, Lifeline would still get new items from her drop, but they would also be joined by a Replicator slot, thus giving the healer a chance to craft items on the fly. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1513324632849399809 The dataminer even showed how the drop could look in-game with a Replicator slot on it, and it looks pretty snazzy to say the least. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1513334224287379459 While there has been plenty of supportive feedback for the idea, there are some who suggested that it might be “overbuffing” Lifeline by giving her a replicator slot on her Ultimate. At the end of the day, while the changes would make sense, Respawn has the final say on things and who knows what they have in store for future changes.

  • Complete Apex Legends equipment guide – Rarity, Legendary perks, and more – Dexerto

Complete Apex Legends equipment guide – Rarity, Legendary perks, and more While Apex Legends is largely determined by skill, like any battle royale the gear each player has managed to collect plays a major role in success. Naturally, most loot relates to improving players’ ability to deal out damage – weapons, ammo to fire through those weapons, and attachments to make those weapons more powerful. There’s a group of items that are more focused on enabling players’ survival, however, whether its through shielding them against threat directly, or providing utility to open up options and make life generally easier. Understanding exactly what your equipment is doing for you is key to success, especially when it comes to some of the special bonuses of legendary gear, so to make sure you know what you – or your opponents – might be capable of, here’s a complete guide to Apex Legends’ equipment. Loot Rarity The first thing to understand about all Apex Legends loot is its rarity. Every item in Apex Legends come in three standard rarities – common, rare, and epic – which are identified by their colors of white, blue, and purple respectively. These rarities will be found around the map as regular floor or chest loot, and each tier typically offers a simple direct improvement on the perks of the tiers below it. There is a fourth item tier, however – legendary, represented by gold – which grants the same benefits as the epic variant, but with another unique perk. Legendary items are significantly more rare than any of the other tiers, and are unlikely to be found simply lying around. Instead, they are most commonly found as a reward from supply drops, or in legendary Loot Drones. While not all items have a Legendary tier, all types of equipment do, and their additional perks make them some of the most valuable items in the game. Body Shield Undoubtedly the most valuable piece of equipment you can find, the benefit of Body Shield is simply that it increases your overall health pool. There’s no substitute for simply being able to sustain more shots without being knocked down, and Body Armor also opens up a new set of resources for health replenishment in the form of shield cells and batteries. Even a common Body Shield adds an extra 50% to a player’s health pool, meaning that if you get into a very early fight, a player with armor has a significant advantage over a player without. The epic and legendary versions, meanwhile, offer 100 health in shielding, doubling the base health. The Legendary variant also allows players to replenish their shields fully by performing a finisher. While quite situational, it can be very useful for conserving resources when you have limited options for healing up. The Legendary Body Shield is also easiest to make use of on the likes of Bangalore or Gibraltar, who can create cover while finishing an enemy. Helmets The second half of a player’s defensive set-up, helmets complement body shields, although they don’t actually provide extra health. Instead, they mitigate incoming headshot damage. While headshot multipliers vary by weapon, if you’re getting hit in the head with any sort of regularity there’s a good chance you’re going to drop incredibly quickly. While wearing a helmet won’t counteract the headshot multiplier entirely, it will take some of the sting out. The Legendary Helmet also reduces the cooldown of the wearer’s tactical and ultimate abilities. As a result, this is particularly useful for Legends like Lifeline, whose abilities are particularly valuable and take a while to recharge, but less valuable for those whose abilities already recharge quite quickly or are less powerful, like Mirage or Caustic. Backpacks Backpacks perform the very simple purpose of expanding how much gear you can carry at any one time, but it’s hard to overlook how valuable the rarer backpacks can be. Even just the basics of ammo for two different types of weapon and shield and health replenishers can fill out space quickly, and that’s before you start collecting grenades or holding onto attachments you might want to use down the line. The legendary backpack, however, is arguably the most valuable legendary item in the game. Its bonus perk doubles the speed at which you use healing or shielding items, which can make a massive difference in the middle of a fight, especially for the full-heal items like Med Kits, Shield Batteries, and Phoenix Kits. Knockdown Shields While Apex Legends does have a respawn system – so elimination isn’t necessarily the end of your game – it takes more time and effort to bring someone back to life than to simple revive them after being knocked down. The player being respawned also starts with no loot again, while a revive means keeping all of your gear. Knockdown shields are your only defense against elimination, giving you an extra barrier that enemies have to burn through if they want to fully take you out. Read more: The Ultimate Apex Legends quiz – In the case of the epic and legendary shields particularly, shooting a downed opponent to the point of elimination becomes a significant investment of time and resources. While “finishers” bypass knockdown shields, they leave the finishing player vulnerable and can be interrupted by incoming damage. The Legendary knockdown shield also grants wielders the ability to perform a self-revive, which can be used to great effect if enemies aren’t focusing on you after you’ve been downed, and also means that even once your full squad is down, you’re not necessarily out of the game. This ability can only be used once, however.

  • Complete Apex Legends attachments guide – Stats, rarity, and more – Dexerto

Complete Apex Legends attachments guide – Stats, rarity, and more Like any battle royale, looting is a major aspect of Apex Legends, and a lot of that loot is attachments that will make certain weapons more powerful. When you first drop into Kings Canyon, searching for a weapon you like will undoubtedly be priority number one. Once you’ve found something you’re happy with, however, the next step is to make sure that it’s as powerful as possible. Understanding exactly what each attachment does is useful in making the most of the resources available to you. A completely unequipped default version is a much different prospect to a weapon that’s fully decked out, and which attachments you find may well influence which weapons you choose to carry with you. To help you understand what your options are, and just how powerful each of these options is, take a look at our complete guide to Apex Legends attachments. Rarity First, a note on rarity. Like all items in Apex Legends, attachments come in up to four “rarities” – common, rare, epic, and legendary. These rarities are denoted by color, with common being white, rare being blue, epic being purple, and legendary being gold. The higher the rarity of an item, the greater the effect it has on a weapon. In most cases, increasing the rarity simply applies the same affect as the more common variants but to a greater degree, although legendaries are typically equal to the epic variant in their standard effect, but also add an additional benefit. Standard and Sniper Stocks While there are technically two different types of Stocks, the only difference between them is which weapons they can be applied to. The benefit of adding a stock is improved handling – reducing the time it takes to raise and lower the weapon, as well as reducing sway. The former effect is consistent across all weapons, although the latter varies depending on the weapon in question. The Standard Stock fits sub-machine guns (SMGs), assault rifles (ARs), and light machine guns (LMGs). The Sniper Stock, meanwhile, can only be applied to snipers, with the exception of the Kraber, which as a Legendary weapon comes fully equipped. Barrel Stabilizers Weapon recoil is broken down into two separate factors – vertical recoil and horizontal recoil – and Barrel Stabilizers help to reduce both. In addition, the Barrel Stabilizer also comes in a golden Legendary variety, which also reduces muzzle flash for improved visibility while firing. Barrel Stabilizers are perhaps the least intuitive attachment when it comes to determining which weapons they can be applied to, however. The following weapons can accommodate a Barrel Stabilizer. Pistols RE-45 Auto – SMGs R-99 – Alternator SMG – Assault Rifles R-301 Carbine – Hemlok Burst AR – LMGS M600 Spitfire – Devotion – Snipers G7 Scout – Longbow DMR – Extended Mag The extended magazines come in two varieties – Light and Heavy – each of which can be applied to any weapon that uses its respective ammo type. The exact increase in capacity that an extended mag offers varies depending on the weapon, with each rarity tier naturally adding a greater increase than the previous one. For the rare and epic varieties, there’s also an additional benefit of reduced reload time, with the reduction depending on the weapon, and of course being greater for the epic extended mag. Unfortunately for fans of the Havoc, Devotion, or Triple Take, there’s no extended mag available for weapons that use energy ammo. Shotgun Bolts Shotguns are more limited in terms of the attachments they can apply, but they do have their own category which has the unique effect of increasing fire rate. The EVA-8 and the much-maligned Mozambique both get the same increase from Shotgun Bolts, but the Peacekeeper, which is typically considered the most powerful of the standard shotguns, gets a slightly smaller increase at each tier. Like the Kraber, the Mastiff always comes fully-equipped and cannot have any attachments added to or removed from it. Sights and optics While sights are typically fairly self-explanatory, there are some factors to take into account when choosing what to put on your weapon. Some sights will offer the ability to switch between magnifications, while the Legendary Digital Threat sights highlights enemies in red, an effect that works even through smoke. While sights ultimately come down to personal preference, the general consensus is that the HCOG varieties are the easiest to use as they’re the least visually intrusive, although the Digital Threat options will usually take priority if found. Hop-Ups Unlike most of the other items in the game, hop-ups are quite weapon-specific, usually only applicable to one or two different weapons, and have unique effects. Not all weapons can have a hop-up applied to them. For those that do, finding the relevant attachment can make a significant difference to its power level, so coming across the necessary hop-up might make the difference between using the weapon or not. The only weapon that can use more than one hop-up is the Havoc, which gets the typical benefit of reduced charge-up time from the Turbocharger, but with the Selectfire Reciever gains the ability to fire a single, high-damage hit-scan shot after a charging period.

  • CoD legend Scump admits he’s “addicted” to Apex Legends and wants to hit Predator rank – Dexerto

CoD legend Scump admits he’s “addicted” to Apex Legends and wants to hit Predator rank OpTic / Respawn EntertainmentSeth ‘Scump’ Abner, one of the greatest Call of Duty pro players of all time, has been grinding Apex Legends since his retirement from pro play, and now wants to reach the highest rank in the game. Scump competed in CoD for over 12 years, winning 30 tier 1 events, including the World Championship in 2017, before announcing his retirement ahead of the 2023 CDL Season. Throughout his time competing, he always proved his prowess in other shooters too, such as Valorant and CS:GO. Since retiring, he has stuck mostly to Valorant, but he is now switching his attention to Apex, where he is also using a controller again, just like in his CoD days. Now, he wants to hit the highest rank. Scump wants to go from “wood to pred” in Apex Jumping into Apex, along with former OpTic Gaming teammate Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, Scump titled his stream “wood to pred” – as he aims to go all the way from the rookie rank to the highest possible. Reaching Predator is no easy feat, though, and is reserved for the game’s very best rank grinders and pro players. On top of that, Scump only has less than a month before Season 18 of Apex – when all ranks will be reset. Scump posted a clip of his skills in action on Twitter, confirming also that he is fully “addicted” to grinding Apex. It’s clear that his aim from his years playing CoD hasn’t deserted him yet, as he lasers down a whole team while barely missing a shot. In another clip, he shows off a ‘one-clip’ kill – taking out a fully armored opponent without needing a reload. Some fans in the comments urged him to “go pro in Apex” – and few would doubt his ability to do so, but Scump may not be keen to return to the grind of professional esports so soon after his CoD retirement. And, as many pro players will attest, good aim will only get you so far in Apex. To reach the predator rank, Scump will need to also master movement, looting and legend abilities, if he is to stand a chance in the higher ranks. For now, though, fans of Scump and Respawn’s battle royale can enjoy his streams as he attempts to learn the game and reach the highest possible rank.
