  • Bangalore’s Smoke can actually be used to eliminate Apex Legends players – Dexerto

Bangalore’s Smoke can actually be used to eliminate Apex Legends players A clever Apex Legends player has shown how Bangalore’s Smoke Grenade can be used as an offensive tool, using it to knock an opponent who hid during a tense gunfight on World’s End. Bangalore’s Smoke Grenade ability has plenty of uses, able to provide cover as you retreat, block off lanes to stop opponents from pushing towards you or give you a way to sneak towards enemies in search of eliminations. One clever Apex Legends player has found a way to use them as an offensive weapon though, knocking an opponent after some quick thinking using the Smoke Grenade. Uploaded to Reddit by /u/halo_shot, the player found themselves in a long-range battle with an enemy, peppering them with shots using a Hemlok, as they ran and took cover behind a wall. With the opponent likely thinking that they had found momentary safety behind their cover, halo_shot quickly whipped out the Smoke Grenade, aiming it towards the wall their enemy had ducked behind, firing off a shot. Seconds later, not only had the Smoke Grenade gone off, but the enemy was knocked down. Due to the distance of the shot, it’s hard to tell whether the small explosion that goes off when the grenade is activated or if direct impact from it were the cause of the knockdown, but both are equally as useful, and can deal damage to already-weakened players who have yet to heal up after a gunfight. The explosion is even powerful enough to blow off doors, so could be a useful way to distract opponents or breach buildings without needing to get too close for the original entry, Of course, this isn’t a useful trick in every scenario but is a handy tip that could spell the difference between victory and defeat should you utilize it as accurately as halo_shot did in this clip.

  • Bangalore mains crushed as Apex Legends nerfs gut her abilities – Dexerto

Bangalore mains crushed as Apex Legends nerfs gut her abilities Respawn EntertainmentBangalore has been a meta staple for the past few Apex Legends seasons, but the nerfs to her coming along with the Shadow Society event are set to knock her off that pedestal. The Bangalore Mains subreddit was in shambles following the Apex Legends Shadow Society patch notes drop that revealed her kit is getting massively nerfed. Bangalore’s been one of Apex Legends’ most popular picks for a few seasons, with the emergence of the so-called “can’t see sh*t” meta really selling just how prominent she is. As a result, her abilities have been almost universally nerfed, with only a minor buff and some sidegrade changes. Here’s what changed about Bangalore specifically in this patch: Rolling Thunder: Cooldown increased to 4.5 min (was 4) – Smoke Launcher Cooldown increased to 35s (was 33) – No longer deals damage – Smoke duration decreased to 11s (was 18) – Smoke particles now dissipate faster – – Upgrades: Level 2 Big Bang: removed – NEW Tactical Cooldown: reduces Tactical cooldown by 5s – – Upgrades: Level 3 Cover Me: Auto-Ping no longer tracks the player who triggered double time – Refuge: Heal Rate increased to 3.5 HP/s (was 3 HP/s) – – The biggest changes are around her smokes. The duration has been almost halved, with smoke disappearing much faster than it did before. It’ll take two smokes to get the duration of cover you’d have gotten from one in the prior patch. Following these hefty nerfs, the Bangalore mains sub was up in arms. A post titled, “Welp, there goes 750 hours on Bang” made the rounds as Bangalore-dedicated Apex players came together to determine whether or not she’ll still be worth playing post-patch. “Smh we bang mains sat through the scan meta, gibby meta, revtane , conduit rev lol bang has been the most balanced for a while. I mean we went SEASONS while other legends got crazy buffs and bang just recieved nerfs smh,” one Bangalore main lamented. The general sentiment on the sub is that she’s long existed as on of the most balanced Legends in the game, and that these nerfs may have been a little heavy handed.

  • Bangalore Heirloom recolor in Apex Legends revealed: Emerald Edge – Dexerto

Bangalore Heirloom recolor in Apex Legends revealed: Emerald Edge Respawn EntertainmentWith Apex Legends’ newest collection event – Temporal Chaos – on the horizon, Bangalore’s heirloom will be getting a stylish recolor. Since being introduced back in Season 0, heirlooms have become Apex Legends’ most sought-after cosmetic items. The melee weapons are stacked full of lore for characters and are typically used on your most-loved legend. As the battle royale has continued to expand, Respawn has made a few changes to these. Though, we still get a chill down our spine when we hear Wraith calling out that she is using her Kunai. We now have Apex Artifacts – which are universal heirlooms that can used for a few legends. There are also recolors of the previously released heirlooms as well. With Season 22 kicking off, Respawn have revealed the Temporal Chaos collection event which, as you’d expect, is chock full of new cosmetics. That includes the aforementioned heirloom recolor, which is coming for Bangalore. That’s right, Bangalore’s Cold Steel knife is getting an emerald green-themed makeover in this event with the cleverly named Emerald Edge skin for the knife. As ever with these collection events, you’ll have to unlock all 24 of the new items to get the heirloom recolor for free. This includes legendary skins for Octane and Bangalore herself. On top of that recolor, you’ll also get Bangalore’s new finisher – Reveille. That involves her showing off some nifty hands with the knife before a brutal kick to the heart of your downed foes. Apex has had issues with the previously mentioned Artifacts recently. The Katar was branded “pay to win” by players after they found a bug with the knife that indirectly buffs both Vantage and Rampart. There should be no such issues with Bangalore’s stylish recolor, however. So, don’t be expecting a competitive advantage for shelling out some cash.

  • Bangalore & Caustic Heirlooms leaked for Apex Legends Season 6 – Dexerto

Bangalore & Caustic Heirlooms leaked for Apex Legends Season 6 Respawn EntertainmentSeason 6 is now underway in Apex Legends, with more new content than players know what to do with. But the new season is only the beginning, and leakers have found even more on the way, including heirlooms apparently releasing for two Legends. Heirlooms are the rarest items in Apex Legends, and you have to get very lucky to get your hands on one, through heirloom shards, or just endless Apex packs. So far, Wraith, Pathfinder, Bloodhound, Lifeline, Mirage, and Octane have heirlooms, with more for the other Legends expected, and according to leaks, Bangalore and Caustic are up next. Surprisingly, it appears that both of these heirlooms will be added within the same season, as the leakers dug through the game files from the Season 6 update. Previously there has been on heirloom per season (Wraith’s was available at launch), but new game files for Season 6 feature code for two Legends’ heirlooms. Bangalore and Caustic heirlooms leaked These leaks come courtesy of two reliable data miners, Shrugtal and Biast12. Posting the code on Twitter, they revealed not only that these would be next heirlooms, but also exactly what they are, and the events that would bring them Bangalore heirloom According to Biast12, the Bangalore heirloom will be a ‘Tonfa’ – commonly used as police and military batons. This definitely fits in with her character, and even some of her Legendary skins specifically. Bangalore is getting the next heirloom!! pic.twitter.com/j3l1CNfZmM — Biast12 (@Biast12) August 18, 2020 Bangalore’s heirloom is a fucking Tonfa!!!!!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/yMDeHnz7EH — Biast12 (@Biast12) August 18, 2020 Here’s an example of a Tonfa (note: this isn’t Bangalore’s heirloom – just an example): Caustic Heirloom For Caustic, his heirloom is coming with an upcoming collection event, called ‘Aftermarket’, according to Shrugtal. The code states “Unlock the Caustic Heirloom Set for free when you complete the Aftermarket collection.” New collection event: Aftermarket. Contains CAUSTIC HEIRLOOM pic.twitter.com/ygG1w7Goje — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) August 18, 2020 As for what it will be, Biast12 found code indicating some form of Sledgehammer named ‘Deadly/Death Hammer’ or ‘Lethal Hammer”. Caustic heirloom is a hammer and specific a sledgehammer, i couldn’t find the english name, but i could find 4 other languages of it pic.twitter.com/PFzQtWgEfI — Biast12 (@Biast12) August 18, 2020 There’s no time frame for when these heirlooms will be added, or when the collection event begins. However, the leakers suggest that both should arrive in Season 6, because it’s unlikely the code would be added so early for something coming in Season 7. It’s possible that Bangalore’s heirloom will release outside of a collection event, or possibly even a new kind of event is planned for Season 6. We’ll have to wait and see. As with all leaks, it must be noted that things can change in development.

  • Bangalore buff idea in Apex Legends gives her Titanfall’s electric smoke – Dexerto

Bangalore buff idea in Apex Legends gives her Titanfall’s electric smoke Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cgdaanpd]A creative way of combining assets already in Apex Legends would give Bangalore players a powerful tool inspired by Titanfall’s electric smoke. Even though the Lost Treasures update made improvements to a sizable portion of the Apex roster, Bangalore was left out of this round of patch improvements. As far as pick-priority goes, the former IMC recruit doesn’t score high against the likes of Wattson, Wraith, or Pathfinder. To give the Legend a bit more indirect firepower in her ability kit, user ‘cxllum02’ suggested that there be an interaction between useful Arc Stars and Bangalore’s Smoke Launcher to make her AoE ability deal damage. “I thought it would be cool if we threw an arc star into Bangalore’s smoke. It would create the electric smoke from Titanfall 2,” they said. They accompanied the idea with side by side pictures of how Bangalore’s smoke looks now with an Arc Star accompanying along with a screenshot of Titanfall showing a mech’s tactical ability being activated. A buff like this would be a great way to rework concepts already inside Apex Legends to create something that would greatly benefit Bangalore. As it stands, the Legend is classified as an Offensive-type character, although none of her abilities are exactly made to deal damage. Her smokes are great for repositioning, her Double Time can be used to return fire then quickly get to cover, and her Rolling Thunder is good to advance on a push (or create distance to escape a team) but hardly to deal a killing blow. The practical effect would be kind of similar to how Caustic’s Nox Gas works. But because of her ability to launch a gas can at long-range, it could be a great way to clear out structures or funnel opponents to a particular path. This would open up the offensive capabilities for teams deploying with the Legend, and would be a creative way to revamp a character that can sometimes get overshadowed by other Legends with far more tools than her. As the Respawn devs continue to balance their roster, some players would be interested to see the devs incorporate a buff like this for Bangalore.

  • Bangalore buff idea gets response from Apex Legends dev – Dexerto

Bangalore buff idea gets response from Apex Legends dev Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends fan has put forward their idea for a rework to Bangalore and her ultimate, with one Respawn dev even noticing it as “good feedback.” While Respawn Entertainment are the only ones who can make changes to Apex Legends, that doesn’t stop fans from putting their ideas forward. Players put forward ideas for everything from new cosmetics to new legends as well as makeovers for the current crop. With legends like Crypto, lifeline, and Wraith receiving tweaks recently, the focus has shifted on to other characters – with Bangalore being thrust into the spotlight as being next in line. While Respawn might have their own ideas, they’ve seemingly been helped by one fan who put forward a pretty convincing case for their concept. The idea came from Pooch, who noted that Bang’s ultimate should rain down slightly faster and not stun her team, but can still stun her. On top of that, when she activates double time, only her holstered gun should reload. Though, the Twitter user also put forward the idea that as her ultimate is being readied, Bangalore should get a speed boost. This would allow her to become more aggressive and push towards enemies as they prepare for the worst. Pooch added that the “most annoying” thing about using Bangalore is that her ultimate takes too long to charge and is pretty ineffective in its current state – usually forcing teams to split up to avoid being stunned by its friendly fire. Josh Medina, a produced for Apex Legends, seemingly took the feedback on board, responding to the initial tweet. “Good feedback here,” Medina noted, much to the joy of fans who urged him and the Respawn team to move forward and show Bangalore some much-needed love in future updates. Obviously, while fans have their ideas for changes, Respawn have got to keep the battle royale balanced. So, they will likely have some thoughts of their own for changes, but may sprinkle in a bit of these fan ideas. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens to the Professional Soldier later down the line. Though, it does seem clear that she is one of the next legends in line for an update.

  • Bangalore and Caustic secretly nerfed in Apex Legends Chaos Theory update – Dexerto

Bangalore and Caustic secretly nerfed in Apex Legends Chaos Theory update Respawn EntertainmentSome quiet changes have been introduced in the Chaos Theory event update in Apex Legends that weren’t revealed in the patch notes, significantly affecting both Caustic and Bangalore’s abilities. Although very different Legends, both in terms of character and abilities, Bangalore and Caustic have one thing in common: their smoke. Technically, Caustic’s is actually toxic gas, but the impact of effectively blinding opponents is the same. Or, at least, it was the same – before the latest update on March 9. It wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes anywhere, but the developers have confirmed that a big change was made to the smoke effect caused by these Legend’s abilities. Smoke/Gas nerfs in Apex Legends As players jumped in to try out the new patch, it didn’t take long for some to notice that the smoke effects were much easier to see through. Essentially, the gas and smoke looked a lot ‘thinner’ than previously. A good example of this is shown in the clip below from @psyycheout – not only is the gas now dealing less damage, it’s also much easier to see through. https://twitter.com/psyycheout/status/1369356933153648642 At first, players thought this might be an unintended bug, but Respawn dev Eric Hewitt has confirmed they intentionally reduced particle FX count for Caustic, Bangalore, and Gibraltar abilities. particle FX count was lowered for Caustic Gas (tac and ult), Bangalore Smoke, and Gibraltar ult — Eric Hewitt / Ghost (@GH057ayame) March 5, 2021 This reduced particle density leads to increased visibility through the smoke caused by these abilities, making them much less effective. No reasoning has been given for the change, which is particularly surprising for Bangalore – generally considered one of the lesser-powered Legends, relatively. Caustic meanwhile has been hit with lots of successive nerfs. This might be good news for players who found him frustrating to play against, but for Caustic mains, will be bitterly disappointing. So far, this change still hasn’t been added to the latest patch notes.

  • Bangalore ability is still totally broken in Apex Legends LTM – Dexerto

Bangalore ability is still totally broken in Apex Legends LTM Respawn/EAApex Legends players have noted that Bangalore’s Double Passive ability is still broken in some specific mode, and they’re not too pleased about it. When a new season of Apex Legends rolls around, fans of Respawn’s popular battle royale can expect a few things – a new legend, new items, buffs and nerfs for the current roster, and new game modes. With Season 15: Eclipse on the horizon, Respawn will be introducing all that and more. The spooky Catalyst will be the battle royale’s first female transgender character, there will be a new Moon-based map, and plenty of other changes. While Respawn has yet to dish out their list of buffs and nerfs, some fans are desperate for Bangalore to get some love, especially when it comes to Control because her Double Time ability simply doesn’t work. Apex Legends fans annoyed Bangalore is broken in Control The issue was flagged by Redditor espartanosforeve, who couldn’t help but voice their dismay at the problem, which is a bit of a nerf for Bangalore in the mode. “This bug has been present since Control introduced 8 months ago,” they said. “Really embarrassing for a game of this size to still have bugs unfixed for so long.” Other players poked fun at Respawn for not addressing the issue, but some agreed that it is “very annoying” to not have a legend work in the way they are supposed to. “Seems to be rather inconsistent, sometimes it works but most times it doesn’t,” added another player who has also run into the problem. Some suggested that the devs may have disabled it given the nature of Control, but that has never been flagged by Respawn themselves. With Control being an LTM at the end of the day, it’s probably not at the very top of their priorities to address but it’s clear some players would at least like to see it looked at.

  • Ballistic melee glitch in Apex Legends turns him into a “Super Saiyan” – Dexerto

Ballistic melee glitch in Apex Legends turns him into a “Super Saiyan” Respawn Entertainment/Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3Apex Legends players have discovered that Ballistic, Season 17’s new Legend, has the ability to cancel his melee animation, resulting in him being able to throw a flurry of punches at his enemies. The moment that new Legends get released, Apex Legends players get to work on trying to find any way they can to exploit their kits and use their abilities in some unintended ways. Players have been no different with Ballistic, the character that arrived in Apex Legends Season 17. While some Legends like Vantage end up being a bit buggy in ways that obstruct the player, Ballistic’s fairly straightforward kit has one huge exploit players can take advantage of. If you repeatedly swap back to the weapon you have stored in your sling, Ballistic’s melee animation gets cancelled. This allows him to punch much, much faster than intended. Ballistic melee glitch makes him a close-range menace Ballistic’s kit is refreshingly simple in comparison to many of the other more recent characters in Apex Legends. Every ability he has is about enhancing his ability to put rounds downrange and giving him options that allow him to get the leg up in firefights. Many glitches and exploits end up being borne from abilities that push the boundaries of existing mechanics. For example, the ability to slide down hills or block doors with Newcastle’s passive probably wasn’t intended by the devs, but these mechanics are now crucial for players wanting to play him at a high level. However, Ballistic’s melee glitch is a good old-fashioned unintended animation cancel with the weapon he keeps in his sling, allowing players to put up their dukes and run through the competition. It’s hard to imagine the Ballistic player in this clip didn’t know exactly what he was doing. Standing in the ring, taunting his opponent and knowing full well that anyone who tried to take him on didn’t stand a chance. Melee animation cancels are nothing new in Apex Legends, and it’s more likely than not that this’ll end up being patched out of the game in the near future. However, this glitch is still possible to pull off at the time of writing and is certainly worth taking advantage of if you find yourself in a pinch. One redditor said what we were all thinking: “Dude went Super Saiyan.”

  • Balanced Mozambique change would make it a standout Apex Legends shotgun – Dexerto

Balanced Mozambique change would make it a standout Apex Legends shotgun Respawn EntertainmentThe Mozambique is the worst weapon in Apex Legends, but this popular fan concept could give it a much-needed helping hand. Just like every battle royale title, Apex Legends features plenty of unique guns for players to find and use in their matches. Of course, not all weapons are made equal and there are a number that see limited use from the player base. Whether it’s down to their lackluster damage, poor accuracy, or high skill ceiling, the BR title features many guns that struggle to shine. One of those guns is none other than the humble Mozambique. The Mozambique is one of the worst guns in the entire game, with the majority of players neglecting it completely. Not only does it boast pitiful damage it also has a slow projectile range, which makes hitting mobile Legends particularly difficult. However, a new fan concept could help give the Mozambique the boost it needs to become better than ever before. The pint-sized shotgun has remained at the bottom of the weapons tier list since Apex Legends’ release. While Respawn has tweaked the Mozambique over the years, it has still struggled to make a good name for itself. Instead, the gun is often featured in meme compilations and jokes online. However, an interesting fan concept has cropped up online that could transform this underpowered gun into a viable close-range option. Instead of buffing the shotgun’s fire rate or increasing its range, the Mozambique could be dual-wielded. This would enable the gun to perform more akin to an actual shotgun. “I just want to experience this for one day…that’s all I ask,” says Zavexheart. “Because April 2021 Fools’ Day [Mozambique change] was awesome. 9 bullets, 30 damage. That junk was crazy fun. It was like the only thing that dropped too! I sure would like to see this make into play… screw Quickdraw.” Of course, many players noted that Mozambique’s damage per pellet, ADS, reload speed, and mag size would have to be adjusted. “I could almost guarantee that an akimbo attachment for mozam would result in a nerf to the base stats,” says calse-fonsciousness. “Imagine 12 rounds of purple bolt mozam spray. That sh*t would be so busted.” Whether Respawn decides to experiment with this idea remains to be seen, but it would certainly make for an interesting addition, and one that would certainly put this underappreciated gun in the spotlight.

  • Baffling Apex Legends bug is still switching out characters before a match starts – Dexerto

Baffling Apex Legends bug is still switching out characters before a match starts Respawn EntertainmentThere’s an Apex Legends bug that’s still catching players off-guard in Season 11 by randomly switching out their character pick right before a game starts, and it’s rearing its head in the latest event. Players have been contending with this issue, and its slight variations, for years and it’s popping up again shortly after the Dark Depths event got underway. There’s no way to account for it either; sometimes players are denied during the character select screen and sometimes it can happen when the game gets underway. It’s a bad lottery to win and it’s apparently been happening to more people lately, according to some comments in a Reddit post showcasing the bug. User ‘BluNinjaBuddii’ showed how it happened to them. While it looked like Apex was behaving normally, the player was stunned to see the game change his pick as soon as they exited the dropship. Apex Legends character switch bug The Apex Legends character select bug showed up well after everyone in the lobby had already locked in their picks. Though the player chose, loaded into the map, and expected to play Seer, they glitch swapped them out to Pathfinder at the last second. “I thought I picked Seer,” the player quipped. Though odd, there are some Apex Legends who are quite familiar with the strange occurrence. “Wait, I could of sworn this happened to me last night too,” another person chimed in. “I picked Octane, then I’m suddenly Caustic when landing.” A few more people in that thread reportedly dealt with the issue and there’s not much people can do if they come across it in their games. At the time of writing, Respawn haven’t listed the issue on its Apex Tracker which lists different issues they are actively investigating or that have been recently resolved. If more people experience Apex’s character switch bug in the coming weeks, then Respawn could take a closer look at the issue to troubleshoot a meaningful fix.

  • Awesome secret Pathfinder Heirloom animation discovered in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Awesome secret Pathfinder Heirloom animation discovered in Apex Legends Apex Legends players have found an awesome new animation for the in-game robot Pathfinder, combining the boxing gloves with his mechanical design. Since Apex Legends release in February 2019, Pathfinder has regularly starred as a fan-favorite legend, utilizing his ability to traverse around the environment to make for some memorable plays. Pathfinder’s heirloom was leaked back at the start of December, when reputable Apex data-miners found boxing gloves in the in-game files. These leaks proved accurate when the new heirlooms were released on December 13. While fans have enjoyed the eccentricity of the new heirloom, a rare animation has been found that perfectly combines Pathfinder’s robotic skeleton with the boxing gloves. The unique animation is triggered by players meleeing, but it’s not entirely clear what causes it to happen. Both gloves are thrown forward in a typical melee, before the gloves extend outwards with a robotic mechanism, as if springing out of a jack-in-the-box. As shown in the clip below, players struggle to replicate the animation after triggering it. The below video shows the new animation in slow motion. While Pathfinder’s animation is undoubtedly cool, it is complemented by a plethora of heirlooms for other characters. These include Bloodhound’s Axe, Wraith’s Knife and Lifeline’s incredibly cool Shock Sticks. Thanks to Reddit user Maxwell__Bell, all the heirloom inspections can be viewed next to one another, highlighting the incredible attention to detail on Respawn Entertainment’s behalf. The animation is definitely awesome, and gives a unique possibility to melee attempts when players are using Pathfinder. Respawn have been known to implement a number of hidden animations into Apex Legends, featuring as hidden easter eggs for eagle-eyed players to try and discover. This is undoubtedly one of the coolest.

  • Awesome ideas to make Apex Legends firing range the perfect practice ground – Dexerto

Awesome ideas to make Apex Legends firing range the perfect practice ground Respawn EntertainmentA number of Apex Legends players have floated ideas as to how developers Respawn could improve the game’s firing range, with many wanting to see more love given to the training arena. Apex’s firing range is not particularly integral to the average battle royale match, but it seems that players still want to see its potential explored in the coming months. While used by most as a warm-up for online matches, the firing range is home to an awesome third person easter egg, and players clearly want to see more additions of the same ilk to spruce things up. Games like Modern Warfare proved that training modes could be enjoyable and challenging, and some of the suggestions from players would bring those qualities to Apex’s firing range. The first suggestion, from u/Suspicious-Yoghurt-9, would see a dashboard added to the firing range. This would allow users to quickly toggle options on or off, select the configurations of dummies and essentially tailor the mode to their specific liking. Many liked the dashboard idea, arguing it would allow them to practice particular strategies and playing against certain enemies. Another request, this time from u/ShadySummer1, was more simple and would see the addition of a golden ‘infinity ammo’ box. Users were quick to clarify that this would not grant a specific weapon unlimited ammo from one magazine, rather the ability to endlessly reload without having to go and pick up more ammo. It would simply make practicing any gunplay all the more simple and efficient. Whether Respawn implements either of the above ideas isn’t particularly clear, but Apex players appear keen to see more love given to the firing range. While players will have to wait for changes to the training arena, they can get excited for Season 9: Legacy, which drops on May 4.

  • Ash’s Heirloom has secret door break animation in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Ash’s Heirloom has secret door break animation in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered a secret animation for Ash’s Heirloom when the Incisive Instigator breaks down doors. Apex Legends’ Sun Squad Collection Event arrived on March 28 and the update introduced a huge amount of new content. While there’s excitement around all the fresh additions, Ash’s Heirloom is without a doubt getting most of the attention. As you would expect, the Strongest Link nunchaku has countless special interactions and is extremely satisfying to swing around while navigating the Outlands. Of course, it’s the secret and rare animations that truly grab the interest of the community and one has been found for Ash’s Heirloom that triggers occasionally when you break down a door. Special door animation found for Ash Heirloom in Apex Legends As showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber Bobz, Ash’s Strongest Link Heirloom has a special door-break melee attack. Instead of swinging her Heirloom, the Incisive Instigator pulls the sword from her back that she uses to create her Ultimate, and slashes downwards to break the structure. It’s worth noting that this interaction will not appear anytime you melee a door, so it may take you a while to get it to trigger. While this may seem like a relatively minor discovery, it’s these hidden details that make the Heirlooms so special and sought after. Remember, if you want to get your hands on Ash’s Strongest Link then you need to collect all 24 items in the Sun Squad Collection Event. Otherwise, you’ll just have to open packs until you receive 150 Heirlooms shards, which are guaranteed on your 500th pack. Respawn has certainly raised the bar once again for Heirlooms, so it’ll be interesting to see who gets the next mythic-tier item.

  • Apex Legends’ Ash gets unmasked to reveal true face and it’s pretty creepy – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ Ash gets unmasked to reveal true face and it’s pretty creepy Respawn/EAApex Legends dataminers have managed to reveal what Ash looks like without her mask on, and it’s safe to say she’s even creepier than before. Season 11: Escape has brought about the biggest crossover between Apex Legends and Titanfall in quite some time, with Ash and the C.A.R SMG joining the battle royale party. The brand-new legend has quickly skyrocketed to the top of the most-used charts and won over fans with her villainous vibes. Though, having some of the game’s most powerful abilities helps as well. Her unique look has also captured the imagination of fans especially as her true face is hidden behind a mask. However, some fans have been able to get a closer look at her, and it is pretty creepy. Apex Legends dataminers Garret and KralRindo were the ones who managed to share the up-close and personal look at Ash being unmasked, and it’s actually pretty impressive. While she doesn’t take her mask off in the battle royale – and probably never will – Ash’s face is pretty detailed as many players have pointed out. “Ok now I’m more terrified,” said one Apex fan. “Put it back on,” added another. Others quickly suggested that despite it being scary, Respawn should add the look as a skin. “Why do I like this? Like I wish I had this as a skin,” another player chimed in. “Would be a fire skin if they add an unmasked Ash.” https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1456374034657071109 Anyone who has played Destiny might also point out the similarities between her look and that of Cayde-6. Though, Ash is missing the horn. Some players also likened maskless Ash to Harry Potter’s Voldermort – though you don’t have to fear saying her name. We’ll have to wait and see if Respawn does anything with unmasked Ash, but it seems unlikely.

  • Ash is one change away from living up to her potential in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Ash is one change away from living up to her potential in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAsh is a fan-favorite Apex Legends character, but Respawn seems insistent on keeping her a middle-of-the-pack Legend because she could be a top-tier fighter with a single change. Ash was introduced into the game in Season 11, and the community almost immediately gravitated toward her due to her loaded kit and Titanfall 2 roots. On paper, she’s got a lot going for her. The Legend, however, hasn’t ever lived up to its potential in the Battle Royale as Ash’s pick rate and win rate have always been disappointing. Ash has one of the lowest win and pick rates in the highest-ranked lobbies, and is just outside of the top 15 in pick rates across all ranks. Respawn would only need to make one buff or quality of life adjustment to beef up those numbers for the hunter. The developers just need to tinker with her ultimate or snare ability slightly. Ash’s Ultimate, Phase Breach, needs a longer maximum range. Her kit revolves around tracking enemies with her passive, teleporting to their location with her Ultimate, and then snaring enemies with her tactical ability. However, in her current state where her ultimate only reaches 63 meters, hunting down enemies is a little less feasible than with other Legends like Pathfinder and Wraith. It relegates her ultimate to being used more as a utility/repositioning tool than something she can use to get the drop on her opponent. Another option Respawn could try is to make Ash’s Arc Snare more powerful. First off, the ability should already be able to snare multiple targets without Legend Upgrades. This would free up the upgrades to be more varied, perhaps adding a status effect that can prevent the enemy from healing & using abilities or damage-over-time effects. Players have been consistent in what they want out of the Legend, and it wouldn’t take much to bring her up to speed with the top-tier characters in the game. However Respawn tries to buff Ash, it should help the seemingly forgotten Legend to the power level that its kit presents it to be.

  • Ash heirloom is “pay to lose” and Apex Legends players are furious – Dexerto

Ash heirloom is “pay to lose” and Apex Legends players are furious Respawn/EAAsh’s new heirloom appears to be “pay to lose” at the minute, as Apex Legends players have found that she is significantly louder when carrying it. There are a tonne of different cosmetics and skins for each character in Apex Legends, but there is one type of cosmetic that is sought after the most – the Heirloom. These special melee weapons, which don’t offer any boosts in-game, are a way for Respawn to further delve into a character’s lore. Ash was the most recent recipient of an heirloom, as she got her Strongest Link nunchaku added in the Sun Squad Collection Event. While getting an heirloom is supposed to be a celebration, things haven’t quite turned out that way for the Incisive Instigator as players have found that it actually nerfs her a little bit and could be classed as “pay to lose” as it stands. Ash heirloom is “pay to lose” in Apex Legends as it makes her louder It was something Redditor LisNieLada highlighted on April 6, with YouTuber Grrtt also shining a spotlight on the issue as both of them called it a “pay to lose” situation right now. According to them, when Ash has her heirloom equipped, she goes from having some of the quietest footsteps in the battle royale title to actually being quite loud. This is especially prevalent when she walks across rocks, sand, and grass. It even happens when she is trying to sneak around while crouching, which shouldn’t be the case at all. A number of players have called upon Respawn to take a look at the problem sooner rather than later, with some even suggesting they may have to switch away from using Ash. “Do they test anything?” quizzed one player. “I love Apex, but I can’t stand how dogs*it the audio is,” added another. “Bruh I thought her steps were hella loud recently. Glad to know it’s an actual thing,” another commented. Respawn did push out a hotfix on April 10 to address a few other issues in Apex, but it remains to be seen if this one will be looked at.

  • Apex Legends Ash Heirloom revealed: Strongest Link – Dexerto

Apex Legends Ash Heirloom revealed: Strongest Link Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Sun Squad Collection Event is introducing a brand new Heirloom for Ash in the form of the Strongest Link nunchaku. Respawn is not slowing down in Apex Legends Season 16 and has announced that another major update is on the cards with the Sun Squad Collection Event. Bringing the new heatwave LTM, countless summer-themed cosmetics, and an impressive free reward track, it’s safe to say there’s a lot to look forward to. However, the majority of the attention is being focused on the new Heirloom coming in the patch for Ash. The Incisive Instigator is finally receiving her very own mythic collectible in the form of the Strongest Link nunchaku. Ash Heirloom coming in Sun Squad Collection Event Ash’s Strongest Link Heirloom will arrive in-game on March 28 with the launch of the Sun Squad Collection event The mythic collectible is a nunchaku weapon with red, white, and light blue details making it stand out on the battlefield from the rest of the Heirlooms on the roster. If that wasn’t deadly enough, Ash is seemingly able to deploy spikes from either end of the weapon, making it an extremely formidable object. To obtain this Heirloom you will either need to open packs until you receive 150 Heirloom Shards or collect all 24 limited-time items in the Sun Squad Collection Event. There’s no doubt this will be a fan-favorite Heirloom in the community and with Ash receiving buffs in the patch as well, it’s likely her pick rate is going to skyrocket.

  • Ash finally gets massive buffs in Apex Legends Sun Squad Collection Event – Dexerto

Ash finally gets massive buffs in Apex Legends Sun Squad Collection Event Respawn EntertainmentAsh is receiving a set of major buffs in the Apex Legends Sun Squad Collection Event that make her Tactical significantly more powerful. Apex Legends’ Sun Squad Collection Event has been announced and as always, Respawn are introducing a huge amount of content. On March 28, the heatwave LTM will arrive, alongside countless summer-themed cosmetics, and of course, Ash’s Strongest Link Heirloom. Despite this, the Incisive Instigator is receiving a little more than just a mythic tier collectible, as the devs have decided to boost her power with a set of major buffs. All of them revolve around her Tactical, with the changes making her snare far more reliable and deadly. Ash Tactical buff will make her snare significantly stronger For a long time, Ash mains have been calling for her to be buffed and after it was revealed she was next in line for an Heirloom, the community predicted her power boost would arrive with the mythic cosmetic. Well, Respawn didn’t disappoint and have decided to focus their changes on her Tactical Arc Snare. For starters, the ability has had its cooldown decreased from 25 to 20 seconds. On top of that, the snare’s travel speed has been increased from 700 to 1200 which will make it significantly easier to use and hit your target. Finally, tether activation delay and snare grow time have been decreased by 50% which will make it easier to fire the snare accurately, instead of completely missing your foe. With a 3.6% pick rate in Season 16 according to Apex Legends Status, Ash is sitting in the middle of the pack when it comes to popularity. Her Heirloom alongside these changes will definitely give her a much-needed boost in the Outlands, but it’s hard to know whether she’ll secure a spot at the top of the meta. Remember, these Ash buffs go live on March 28 with the launch of the Sun Squad Collection Event.

  • Ash exploit lets her stack unlimited EVO shield damage in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Ash exploit lets her stack unlimited EVO shield damage in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends exploit involving Ash and Rampart’s Amped Cover allows the Incisive Instigator to stack unlimited EVO shield damage. Season 11 of Apex Legends has arrived and players are already getting to grips with the lethal CAR SMG and the brand new tropical map, Storm Point. Despite this, as always, a few bugs and exploits have slipped through the cracks in Escape and while some are minor, others are going to need immediate attention from the devs. A change to EVO shields on Storm Point now means players can stack a small amount of damage towards their armor by killing monsters. Unfortunately, this new feature is being abused by an exploit involving Rampart’s Amped Cover and Ash’s Arc Snare that allows players to reach red armor in under 30 seconds at the beginning of a match. Ash EVO shield exploit lets players reach red armor instantly Stacking up an EVO shield to red in Apex Legends is a process that can take some players an entire game, but as showcased by sleeve_L1n, an exploit is allowing players to hit max armor in under 30 seconds. By throwing Ash’s Arc Snare through a set of deployed Amped Covers, players have discovered they can stack up damage on a stationary Flyer. For whatever reason, when thrown through Rampart’s Ultimate, the snare has a lower cooldown and won’t disturb the monster, so it’s easy to stack up EVO shields. It’s hard to know why this bug is occurring, but it’s likely to do with Ash’s Tactical being a new ability and it not being tested through Amped Cover. Reaching red armor in the opening stages of a match gives players a massive advantage over their opponents, so Respawn will need to find a solution for this exploit as quickly as possible. We’ll have to wait and see whether they fix the issue directly, remove EVO stacking from monsters, or even stop Ash’s snare from going through Amped Cover, any of these options would resolve the issue. For now, it’s just a case of waiting to see if the devs are aware of the problem, but with random holes on Storm Point plummeting players to their death, it’s safe to say they’ve got their hands full.

  • Artist’s jaw-dropping Apex Legends skin concepts are the best so far – Dexerto

Artist’s jaw-dropping Apex Legends skin concepts are the best so far WolfdawgArt/EAGame character illustrator, ‘WolfdawgArt,’ has a collection of Apex Legends skin concepts with incredible attention to detail. Cosmetics are an integral component to Apex Legends. Given Respawn’s efforts to continually expand their already diverse roster of characters (most recently with the upcoming addition of Forge as part of Season 4), fans everywhere put their own stamp on their Legend through unique skins. Whether it be saving up enough Crafting Metals to redeem a coveted skin or purchasing limited-time skins via LTMs, fans have the option to sport a rig unique to their taste. Here are a few concepts from WolfdawgArt which wouldn’t look out of place in Apex Legends during Season 4. Wolf Hound (Bloodhound) Inspired by a werewolf theme, Wolfdawg has created a skin that lives up to their namesake. Bloodhound’s grizzly attire pays attention to detail — with their trademark Raven even receiving a wolf-like mask. The skin was lapped up by the Apex Legends’ community, having received over 18k upvotes in less than 24 hours on the Apex Legends subreddit. Complete with her hallmark skirt, this variation would be the only skin that conceals Bangalore’s smirk from view with a mask which aptly prepares her for battle. There is no denying that Wolfdawg has an unrivalled talent for creating incredible skin concepts that would fit right into the expansive Apex Legends universe. Who knows, perhaps Respawn will be taking note and we’ll see one of these ideas pop-up in a server at some point in the future.

  • Artist shares incredible Octane-inspired Apex Legends shoes – Dexerto

Artist shares incredible Octane-inspired Apex Legends shoes An artist has given a pair of Nikes a complete Apex Legends overhaul, this time focusing on Octane and they look incredible. Octane is no longer the newest character in Apex Legends but his influence and popularity live on, even in some ways outside of the game. Apex Legends features a unique cast of characters that lend themselves quite well to cosplay opportunities, as we’ve seen numerous times in the past but some of them can even work as a pair of sneakers. Octane meets Nike Adapting a character design to a shoe might not be the easiest thing to accomplish in the world but it can be done. Octane somehow lends himself extremely well to a pair of shoes and makes us wish we could get our hands on them in some way or another. Reddit user cle801 showed off the design of the shoes, which features Octane’s signature green and gray color to go along with the toothy look. The look is completed with the green and black socks. No matter your thoughts on Apex Legends, it’s clear that this artist knocked it out of the park with this one. If you think these look nice, you might be interested in knowing this isn’t the only time we’ve seen cle801 overhaul shoes with Apex Legends characters. Before Octane, we got to see what a pair of Jordan’s would look like with the Bloodhound look. Fans who enjoyed what they saw with Octane will probably enjoy these ones just as much. These are some spectacular designs and shows there’s some real potential for EA and Respawn to branch out into shoes if they really wanted to. Artist continues unbelievable streak of Apex Legends skin creations Game character illustrator/designer ‘WolfdawgArt’ is back with another collection of unbelievably gorgeous and detailed Apex Legends character and skins designs. Character cosmetics and skins are a pivotal part of any popular multiplayer game. Not only do they provide plenty of revenue for titles like Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch, and Apex Legends, among others, they also inspire the communities of these games to try their hand at designing their own creations. In January, Dexerto highlighted a huge collection of skin designs for Apex Legends characters by the extremely talented artist WolfdawgArt. • Artist accuses Apex Legends of “ripping off” their work for Season 16 skin – Dexerto

Artist accuses Apex Legends of “ripping off” their work for Season 16 skin Respawn EntertainmentAn artist has accused Apex Legends of “ripping off” their work for a new Pathfinder skin that’s releasing in Season 16. Season 16 of Apex Legends is scheduled to arrive on February 14 and the major update is set to bring a huge amount of new content to the game. This includes the Nemesis AR, the TDM mode, and new Legend classes, but also as always, an array of fresh new cosmetics. Well, one of these skins is causing a lot of controversy on Twitter, as an artist has accused Respawn of stealing their work. The design in question is an emoji, and it’s visible on the new Pathfinder cosmetic coming with Season 16. Artist accuses Respawn of plagiarism on new Pathfinder skin Taking to Twitter on February 8, artist @mothcharm accused Respawn of stealing their work after multiple people in their DMs let them know that a design on a new Pathfinder skin looked similar to their emojis. The creator acknowledged that they “don’t own the concept of nice emojis” but argued that their “own style is recognizable” and that this design is identical. Calling out Respawn, mothcharm thinks the least EA can do is give them some money after their work has been “ripped off” from their perspective. As Apex Legends makes “millions”, the artist believes that Respawn should pay for the right to use their emojis. It’s worth noting that mothcharm decided to delete their tweet after it went viral, as the post sparked a huge debate in the comments. For now, neither EA nor Respawn have responded to the artist, so we’ll have to wait and see whether they decide to reply, or just ignored the accusation.

  • Arenas in Apex Legends still has a major spawn bug not fixed in Season 10 – Dexerto

Arenas in Apex Legends still has a major spawn bug not fixed in Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Arenas continues to prove popular amongst players looking to get into quick firefights, but one bug continues to inadvertently speed up the process in Season 10. Just like every competitive multiplayer FPS shooter, Apex Legends continually adds new content to keep things fresh. While Season 10: Emergence has added Seer and the Rampage LMG, there have been a number of weird bugs spotted by the community. From the hilarious Loba bug that sees her assets get in the way to accidental Wattson buffs, the list of bugs continues to grow. Respawn is usually quick to address these issues, but it seems that one frustrating bug is still impacting the game’s Arenas matches. The 3v3 mode is certainly no stranger to the world of whacky bugs, but this spawn-related issue continues to run rampant in Season 10. Apex Legends Arenas spawn bug Arenas was introduced back in Season 9 and since then, the 3v3 mode has proved popular amongst players looking to flex their skills. The smaller nature of the maps and limited weapon pool mean squads can quickly get straight into the action without the need to loot. As you’d expect, the rounds are incredibly intense, and kills can often come incredibly fast if you have the skills needed to outplay your foes. While the fear of being third-partied is completely eliminated, there is one game-breaking bug that continues to ruin Arenas matches. After loading into the game, Reddit user Dead_by_Dinosaur discovered that their friend had spawned with the enemy team. The enemy were instantly alerted to Octane’s presence and quickly killed the player before they could even react. This instantly forced Dead_by_Dinosaur’s team into an unfair 2v3 scenario. Unfortunately, this particular Arenas bug has been floating around the game since Season 9 and Respawn has yet to fix this issue. Quite what causes this game-breaking bug to occur remains unknown, but for now, it seems Arenas matches could end up being incredibly one-sided.

  • Arenas axed from Apex Legends and replaced by TDM to start Season 16 – Dexerto

Arenas axed from Apex Legends and replaced by TDM to start Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is permanently removing Arenas from the game in Season 16, the once much-anticipated 3v3 mode that was released in Season 9. Replacing it is Team Deathmatch, and a new playlist called Mixtape. While Apex Legends at its core is a battle royale game, players love the basic gunplay and abilities so much that they longed for an arena-style mode pretty much since launch. Aptly named, Arenas launched in Season 9, and was followed up by Ranked Arenas in Season 10, where players climbed through ranks just like in battle royale. However, Respawn has confirmed that they have made the “difficult decision” to sunset Arenas in Season 16, as it no longer achieved the original aim for the mode. Instead, TDM is coming in at the start of Season 16. Why was Arenas removed from Apex Legends? Although it made a splash when added, with players’ feedback very positive on Arenas initially, it was clear that it had declined in popularity as the season went by. The majority of players didn’t leave the default bronze rank in the Ranked Arenas mode. It was also troubled by difficult matchmaking issues, leading to frustrations as casual players had to face Arenas experts too often. Respawn explained at a Season 16 press event that Arenas no longer served the purpose of providing players a place to hone their skills in a “less stressful environment.” To provide this, the new 6v6 TDM mode will be available at launch of Season 16. Instead of lots of rounds, a round will last until one team has 30 kills. The first to win 2 rounds wins the match. You will also respawn after dying, making this a much faster-paced experienced than arenas, with less time spectating your teammates and less punishing deaths. Learn more about how team deathmatch works in Apex Legends with our full guide here. What is Mixtape in Apex Legends? TDM will be live for three weeks, before it is replaced by a new permanent playlist called Mixtape. This playlist will feature a rotation of TDM, Control and Gun Run for Season 16. But, in future seasons, there will be other limited-time modes added here, both new and old. Respawn hopes this will provide a constant source of alternatives to the standard battle royale modes, and hopefully keep as many people as possible happy. If your favorite mode isn’t there today, it might be there tomorrow.

  • Are leaderboards coming to Apex Legends? Respawn respond – Dexerto

Are leaderboards coming to Apex Legends? Respawn respond A common request for Apex Legends among fans is a leaderboards system. Respawn responded to that request. Apex Legends has been hugely successful since it launched in February, but there are still a variety of features that could be added to improve the game. Drew McCoy, Project Lead at Respawn Entertainment, answered fan questions on Twitter and responded to someone asking if Apex will ever be adding leaderboards so they could track their wins better. Will Apex Legends add leaderboards in the future? That’s a pretty non-subtle humble brag. Some of us out there are slumming it with single-digit wins… Keep requesting features and things you’d like to see in the game. We are definitely listening. Just keep talking to us and we’ll keep adding. — Apex_Support (@ApexSupportDM) April 5, 2019 While McCoy didn’t rule out the possibility of Respawn adding leaderboards in the future, he didn’t give a definitive yes or no answer. “Keep requesting features and things you’d like to see in the game,” he said cryptically. “We are definitely listening. Just keep talking to us and we’ll keep adding. The current way for players to track their wins, kills, etc. are to do so through the trackers on individual characters. Of course, this isn’t an ideal way to track things so the implementation of leaderboards is a no-brainer for those who want to track those stats. Leaderboards aren’t a necessity for players to enjoy a battle royale game but they certainly can’t hurt. If enough players request them, it seems unlikely Respawn will be able to ignore adding them. A good place for fans to make requests is the Apex Legends subreddit, something that Respawn regularly browses. Will Apex Legends add a competitive mode? We have a desire for players to play our game at such high levels, but currently we don’t have any plans to announce for any competitive scene. But we definitely do keep our eyes on what people are doing and what they’re asking about. — Apex_Support (@ApexSupportDM) April 5, 2019 McCoy says he wants to see players play competitively but there’s currently not a whole lot to say about the future of esports for Apex. “We have a desire for players to play our game at such high levels, but currently we don’t have plans to announce for any competitive scene,” McCoy tweeted. “But we definitely do keep our eyes on what people are doing and what they’re asking about.”

  • Are Fade & Rhapsody coming to Apex Legends? Mobile exclusive characters explained – Dexerto

Are Fade & Rhapsody coming to Apex Legends? Mobile exclusive characters explained Respawn EntertainmentThe surprise shutdown of Apex Legends Mobile has led to players of Apex Legends on PC and console asking who Fade and Rhapsody are, and whether they will make their way into the main BR. Here’s everything there is to know. Respawn Entertainment’s January 31 announcement that Apex Legends Mobile would be sunsetted in 2023, officially shutting down on May 1, was a shock to many, not least players of the mobile BR. In the statement’s immediate aftermath, fans questioned whether their purchases could be refunded and expressed concern for the future of the main game, especially in light of EA’s admission that it did not perform as well as had been hoped in 2022 Q4. There were also plenty of fans who stated that the collapse of Apex Legends Mobile is the perfect opportunity to get the Mobile exclusive Legends into the PC and console version. But is that likely, who are Fade and Rhapsody and how would they slot into Apex Legends? Who are Fade and Rhapsody in Apex Legends? Fade and Rhapsody are Legends that were exclusive to the mobile version of Apex Legends. Their lore and background fit with the universe as a whole, but they have seldom featured in material relating to the main game. Fade in Apex Legends Fade is an offensive Legend, who dropped with Season 1 of Apex Mobile. His home planet is Solace and his abilities revolve around movement and the Void. Tactical Ability: Flashback – Go back to where you were a while ago from the Void. – Passive Ability: Slipstream – You can gain a short movement speed boost at the end of a slide. – Ultimate Ability: Phase Chamber – Release a Phase Cage to send all Legends within range into the Void. – Rhapsody in Apex Legends Rhapsody is a support Legend who dropped with Season 2 of Apex Mobile. She hails from Solace as well, but boasts abilities around audio and distortion. Tactical Ability: Hype Anthem – Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and restores shields. Taking damage ends the effect. – Passive Ability: Gifted Ear – You pick up sound visualizations from an extended range. – Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave – Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that blocks incoming sight and scans. – Will Fade and Rhapsody be added to Apex Legends? Right now, we don’t know. The topic has been brought up in the past, with some fans of the game previously unhappy that exclusive characters would come to mobile. It previously seemed unlikely as a result of the mobile version being developed by Tencent, whereas Respawn and EA are in charge of the main title. Speaking about Fade specifically, Respawn said: “It is a possibility in the future but he is developed for mobile… If he ends up on PC then that’s fantastic.” We can assume the same is true for Rhapsody and, in light of the mobile version’s premature end, the chances are maybe greater than ever.

  • Are custom games heading to Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Are custom games heading to Apex Legends? The latest Twitch Rivals tournament has fueled speculation that custom lobbies are coming to Apex Legends in the near future, with games at the event being hosted on a private server. The popular tournaments, this time offering $500,000 in prize money, were previously hosted on public servers – with players earning points based on the number of eliminations as well as final placement; the team with the most points from the public matches would win the overall tournament. However, the latest competition was actually hosted on a custom lobby, meaning the players were pitted directly against each other, rather than the general player base – leading to more engaging, competitive gameplay. Feature Image: @MuratoTheBandit Will custom games be added to Apex Legends? Professional Apex players have been desperate for Respawn Entertainment to add custom lobbies, similar to their rival game Fornite, in order to gain better practice against top tier talent. Popular Twitch streamer, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiak hinted that custom lobbies were definitely in the pipeline after testing the game prior to its release stating: “Once they add the ability to make custom games, eventually we’ll be playing each other in tournaments.” It seems the wish of many in the Apex community may finally be granted with Apex clearly demonstrating that they have the capability to host games on a private server – whether this will be made widely available remains to be seen. at least there’s custom games. maybe respawn can get them into the game for players to actually practice than what epic has done for fortnite — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) April 13, 2019 When are custom games coming to Apex Legends? There has been no communication from Respawn as to when, or even if, custom games will be widely rolled out to the general player base, but the above evidence is at least promising. Adding custom games could be a step to reclaiming some of the buzz around Apex Legends that has been lost in the past few weeks due to the numerous bugs and underwhelming Season One battle pass. With main rival, Fortnite, already offering custom games for anyone with a support-a-creator code, Respawn could claw back some valuable market share by offering the same.

  • Apex star dizzy reveals how to pull off crazy World’s Edge zipline trick – Dexerto

Apex star dizzy reveals how to pull off crazy World’s Edge zipline trick Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player Coby ‘dizzy‘ Meadows has revealed another crazy zipline tactic that has taken getting around Season 3’s new World’s Edge map to a whole new level. The third season of Apex Legends was released on October 3, bringing with it new weapons, balance updates, a new character, and even an entirely new map. Players have been hard at work trying to figure out the hidden secrets of the map that replaced King’s Canyon, and some have already begun to master exactly what they need to claim victory after victory in the game. Advanced movement is nothing new in Respawn‘s frenetic battle royale, but NRG Esports star dizzy’s newest tactic might have changed the game again. In a clip shared on October 3, Meadows appears to have absolutely mastered using one of the new vertical ziplines. With an enemy shooting down at him from the top of a zipline perch, dizzy maneuvered from left to right, constantly gaining elevation in the process before eliminating the shooter that had been taking pot-shots at him before. From the first perspective in the clip, we see through the eyes of a fellow Twitch streamer as he misses shot after shot on the pro player. Finally on the same level, dizzy connects return fire of his own to find a swift elimination. “Woah what the f*ck, did you see that?” the bamboozled streamer asked his teammates while taking damage. One of the most decorated professionals in the Apex Legends scene, it’s no surprise that this stunning play from dizzy caught his opponent by surprise. Highlighting the ridiculous play from his own POV in the second half of the clip, dizzy shows just how fast he reacted in order to avoid being eliminated. Immediately noticing the incoming fire, he leaped from side to side and essentially made himself a near-impossible target to connect with. Known for his absurd movement in previous seasons, this could very well be the first instance of a new, advanced movement tactic that pro’s around the globe will benefit from as competitive play shifts to the brand new locale. Although dizzy is hard at work figuring out how to speed across the new map, other stars have simply been sitting back and enjoying the game. Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek is one such streamer, with the Twitch sensation revealing he’s a “big fan” of the new level design.

  • Apex pro rocker announces retirement: “I just cannot seem to enjoy it” – Dexerto

Apex pro rocker announces retirement: “I just cannot seem to enjoy it” Joe Brady/ ALGSFormer Cloud9 and NRG Esports Apex Legends pro player Aidan ‘rocker’ Grodin has announced his retirement from the esport, citing a loss of joy playing the game. Popular Apex Legends professional player and content creator rocker announced that he has retired from competition. The former Apex pro has played for Cloud9 and NRG Esports in the past, finishing in the top 10 at the Apex Legends Global Series Championship in 2022. In December 2022, rocker parted ways with Cloud9 and started competing on a free-agent team in 2023 with ‘Osivien’ in the ALGS 2023 Split 1. His team failed to qualify for the ALGS Playoffs, finishing outside the top 20 in the 30-team competition. In his Twitlonger announcing his retirement, rocker said that he was tired of the game and Battle Royale genre as a whole. “I’ve been lying to myself for a while saying I want to grind and that I enjoy the game, but in reality, I just cannot seem to enjoy it – let alone play the game for more than two hours at a time,” rocker said. rocker retires from professional Apex Legends The now-retired professional esport player said in his retirement post that competing in Apex felt more like a side gig to him compared to content creation and streaming. He also said that he could see himself returning to professional esports, but that it would be in a new genre of game. “From grinding as a complete random at the start of the game with Nathan ‘Nafen’ Nguyen to playing on a stage in front of thousands of people, it’s been surreal and I have no regrets. I’ll still be around here and there in streams and stuff, but yeah no more apex for me,” rocker said. The 19-year-old gamer can be found streaming to fans on Twitch instead of competing on stage in 2023.

  • Apex Legends pro dizzy shows how to perfectly use the Kraber – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro dizzy shows how to perfectly use the Kraber Respawn entertainmentPopular Twitch streamer and professional player Coby ‘Apex Legends. The Legendary bolt-action rifle can be extremely hard to find, only available in care packages, so when players manage to get their hands on the weapon they want to make the most of it. Dizzy has had plenty of experience with the weapon from his many games on Respawn’s battle royale, and he showed his viewers what is possible with the rare gun. The Twitch star was streaming some games with fellow pros, retzi and Reps, when they located a team playing around a trailer in the new World’s Edge map, released for Season 3. Dizzy quickly dispatched an enemy out in the open with a clean snipe before grappling his way to trailer and using the Kraber .50-cal as if it was a shotgun. He decided against using the Wingman as his teammates raided the trailer, instead no-scoping with the Legendary weapon and landing some insane hip fire shots to complete the squad wipe. Dizzy had managed to get his hands on the Kraber in an earlier stream, although he took a different approach on using the bolt-action rifle, this time looking to hit a trickshot on the final player standing. After dealing enough damage to the enemy player, as to guarantee the sniper bullet would kill him, Dizzy climbed up on top of the nearby building as the ring was approaching before spinning off and landing a ridiculous no-scope headshot. The NRG player has been considered one of the game’s best when Apex Legends first launched, and with plays like that using the Kraber .50-cal, it’s easy to see why. The Apex Legends star has also already become familiar with the Season 3 changes, showing off some insane zipline tricks on the World’s Edge.

  • Apex Predator shows off 28 genius tips & tricks to get better at Apex Legends – Dexerto

Apex Predator shows off 28 genius tips & tricks to get better at Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends content creator and Apex Predator ‘chiknnuggey’ has offered players of Respawn’s battle royale 28 tips and tricks to instantly improve in-game. Regardless of your rank in Apex Legends, chances are you have certain areas you can improve. Whether it’s recoil control, movement around the map or deciding how to balance your loadout, no player is completely flawless, as much as they might like to tell themselves. Chiknnuggey, an Apex YouTuber and Predator-rank player, sits at 13,000 YouTube subscribers, and regularly posts Apex content to try and help his subscribers. That’s exactly the aim of his January 15 video, which offers a whopping 28 tips and tricks to Apex Legends players, ensuring they’ve got the game’s basics completely nailed. As you can imagine with 28 tips and tricks, they cover a lot of bases. The Predator’s movement tricks involve ‘zipline bouncing’ meaning you can use ziplines positioned near buildings to instantly reach an elevated position. Another awesome trick is being able to throw grenades through closed doors. To do this, aim for the very bottom corner of the door, and use the projectile indicator. When it disappears, it means your grenade will slip through the corner of the closed doors. It’s a great way to damage an enemy you know is one the other side. https://youtu.be/d9F11Eusi0E We also really like the tip to enable fast armor swaps. If you’re in a heavy loot area and planning on hanging around there, drop all the available armor on the floor. In an engagement, you can easily swap your armor for a new one, without having to open a loot box. This will give you a major health boost instantly, and could be the difference between winning and losing a fight. There are also some more well-known tips, such as how to avoid the fall stun by meleeing a nearby surface (meleeing the ground was patched out long ago, but there’s a new way). Your play-style may differ from some of the tips, but anything recommended by an Apex Predator should be worth trying out. If you don’t like a tactic or can’t pull it off, then drop it and stick to ones you know you’re capable of. Other than that, drop in and gives these tricks a go!

  • Apex players want heat shield removed from ranked as players exploit them for points – Dexerto

Apex players want heat shield removed from ranked as players exploit them for points Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro player HisWattson pleaded with the devs to remove heat shields after players abused the item for easy wins. The heat shield is a deployable dome that temporarily blocks damage caused by the ring. The item doesn’t stop bullets from entering but does provide other advantages. If the heat shield is in the ring, all healing items have a 50% faster use time, and picking up downed teammates is 25% faster. Heat shields can be regularly available on the ground, in care packages, or in chests. Players called the item a “late-game lifesaver” after untapping its usefulness. If teams are stuck on the lower part of a cave or the interior of a building, heat shields make it possible to rotate above safely. However, what started as a useful survival item has devolved into players racking up Ranked points without ever even firing a bullet. HisWattson slams heat shields in Apex Legends Ranked Apex Legends pro HisWattson called out a player for using heat shields to earn easy Ranked points. “This player is #12 Apex Predator and crafts medkits in the zone every game until the ring kills him. He does not use a weapon.” In Season 17, Respawn overhauled Ranked with a new point system. Players earn placement points based on placement, eliminations, and skill rating. As long as a team gets at least 10th place, you can earn back your 35 LP entry cost and get a positive 20 LP for your match. So, in this example, the player uses heat shields and medkits to place well in every match. HisWattson jokingly offered a trade with the devs to purchase 10 Apex Packs in exchange for a heat shield ban. Community members agreed and offered solutions. One player suggested: “Heat shields are fine. Just make it where the player can only use one per game.” A second user responded: “Make each “previous zone” do increasingly more damage. For example, if it’s round 3 and the zone does x dmg, anyone still outside round 2’s zone does 2x dmg & anyone still outside round 1’s zone does 3x, etc.” Other competitive fans pondered how it’s even enjoyable to play that way. “I don’t know how people enjoy this game by sitting there and not playing it 15+ hours daily.” It remains to be seen if the devs plan to change heat shields in Apex Legends.

  • Apex players debate whether Wraith or Horizon is the ‘sweatiest’ Legend – Dexerto

Apex players debate whether Wraith or Horizon is the ‘sweatiest’ Legend Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is notorious for being filled with ‘sweaty’ players who attempt to take on entire enemy squads by themselves, and while Wraith used to be the leader of the pack, some players think there’s a new face of the movement. Since the launch of Ranked back in Season 2, Apex Legends has carried a renewed focus on competitive play and a few Legends stand out from the field in that regard. In the eyes of the community, Wraith has always been the quintessential ‘tryhard’ Legend. The one who would spark fear in the hearts of casuals as she calmly Voidwalks in and out of fights, cleaning up entire lobbies on her own. However, one player has noticed a definite trend in their Season 14 games and they think that a new candidate has taken over the top spot for the ‘sweatiest’ character in the Apex Games. Apex Legends players dub Horizon the new ‘sweat Legend’ over Wraith It’s no secret that Horizon’s pick rate has skyrocketed up over the last two seasons, and now that her tactical ability has been adjusted once again, that trend doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon. That’s what caused one fan to make a Reddit post asking who the community believes best represents the hardcore players the best. The community seems to be in agreement all around about this shift. Several commenters looked to the pick rates of high ELO lobbies to prove their point. One fan even pinpointed the average rank of each Legend for further proof. “It’s Horizon at Plat 3, Seer at plat 4, then Pathfinder, Wraith, and Maggie at Gold 1,” they noted. While some of the casual fans may still see Wraith as the sort of final boss of Apex Legends due to her 1v3 potential, there has definitely been a shift in terms of expectation over the last two or three seasons and Horizon has clearly made her mark on the entire player base.

  • Apex player creates amazing combat journey idea once matches are over – Dexerto

Apex player creates amazing combat journey idea once matches are over Respawn EntertainmentHow cool would it be if your entire combat journey gets portrayed after completing matches in Apex Legends? Well, an Apex player has suggested exactly that and the community is loving it. Something that Apex Legends have always lacked unlike some other BR games is a summary of matches played. Basic notes like total distance traveled, or the place where a particular player gets the maximum kills have never made their way to the ending screen of a match. However, an Apex player suggested an idea via Reddit, where the entire combat journey is displayed at the end of a match. The community lapped up the idea. The player’s rough sketch shows the full summary of a match – right from the spot they landed to the spot where they were eliminated. It also highlights the kill locations but his idea also includes other metrics like “downs, revives along with the landing area and death/win location” and “the distance traveled and time alive.” To this, one of the players agreed and replied, “That’s actually a good idea, enough of these and some calculations on heavy kill areas and whatnots can be made.” Another player compared Apex’s API to PUBG, commenting, “PUBG has had this in their API for 5+ years now. No clue why Apex has never had it. There is so much in-depth data available after every PUBG match that can help you understand your game and strategy. It’s called PUBG-Replay and is a third-party website. You can see where enemies came from, how much damage you dealt in each fight…etc. It’s a shame Apex doesn’t have that.” Some players also think that these stats can be easily implemented on the client side as the metrics are specific to each player. “They can track this info client-side since it’s specific to each player, and it’s not even a large amount of data, to begin with.” Even though this system has not made its way to the game fully yet, it does exist to some extent. This is limited to some private matches only where things like hotspots, ship flight paths, and more can be seen.

  • Apex Legends cosplayer perfectly recreates Lifeline in real life – Dexerto

Apex Legends cosplayer perfectly recreates Lifeline in real life Respawn EntertainmentOne cosplayer has stunned the Apex Legends subreddit with an incredible Lifeline outfit, awesomely recreating the in-game medic. Since launch, Lifeline has been one of the most popular picks in Apex Legends thanks to her ability to help out any squad member with her healing drone. Not only that, but her care packages provide an armor upgrade to any teammate, meaning she is a versatile and near-essential pick. Outside of the game, she’s also a popular character to cosplay because of her elaborate outfit and the challenge it brings. The stereotypical medic outfit is subverted by the pink hair and headband, often paired with an abundance of straps to hold healing items. On April 1, cosplayer and Apex Legends fan Maddie-Chan shared their incredible interpretation of the popular healer. Read More: Random box teaser appears in Apex Legends – She explained that she was prompted to do the cosplay on account of her pink hair, which means she’s partway to a Lifeline look anyway. As you can see, Maddie has perfected the key parts of any Lifeline cosplay, with the medic’s outfit, blue gloves and headband all featuring. To top it off, we can even see the headgear that Lifeline uses to communicate with teammates, recreated to a tee. Feedback to the cosplay was overwhelmingly positive. At the time of writing, it sits at over 3,500 upvotes. Fans were particularly impressed with Maddie’s attention to detail when recreating the smaller parts of the outfit. Many joked that it’s okay that she’s outside given her status as a medic, but Maddie allayed the fears by confirming the images were taken prior to any formal lockdown where she is based. She even confirmed that the IV bag she used in her outfit was legitimate, revealing that she borrowed it off a friend who is a medical student. It goes to show the attention to detail the best cosplayers will go to in order to perfect their looks. We’ve seen a large variety of Lifeline cosplays, from the awesome to the slightly more controversial. Regardless, Maddie can be thoroughly proud of her efforts here.

  • Apex Legends YouTuber WaterGotHim reportedly banned for DDoSing – Dexerto

Apex Legends YouTuber WaterGotHim reportedly banned for DDoSing Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends YouTuber WaterGotHim has now been reportedly banned for DDoSing in Predator lobbies to increase his in-game rank. Like most multiplayer titles nowadays, Apex Legends is a competitive game at its heart. Thousands of players log in every single day to queue up for ranked and hopefully, increase their RP. For the best players in the community, achieving the rank of Apex Predator is the ultimate goal. Only the top-performing players can reach that level and even then, their spot is always being contested by another challenger attempting to rise through the ranks. However, not everyone decides to play fair, with some members of the community using hacks, cheats, and even DDoS attacks to gain an advantage over their opponents. Apex YouTuber WaterGotHim has now been reportedly banned for DDosing the game’s servers to pick up free wins in ranked. Apex Legends YouTuber reportedly banned for DDoSing In a video originally posted by Jtron and reported on by Thordan Smash, Apex YouTuber WaterGotHim was accused of using DDoS attacks to climb the ranks in Predator. In evidence, Thordan Smash outlined the fact that WaterGotHim had been “hardstuck” at 10,000 RP before gaining a massive 3,000 out of the blue overnight. On top of this, he showed a clip of the YouTuber winning a game that had been DDoSed. Shortly after being accused, WaterGotHim responded on Twitter, denying all of the claims against him. Really think going back into a ddosed lobby is ddosing 😂 I recommend you wait 45 seconds to a few minutes and you’ll get in nearly every single time — fire (@WaterGotHim) April 28, 2021 Since then, Respawn has directly investigated the accusations and reportedly issued a ban across all of WaterGotHim’s accounts. Thordan Smash even presented a clip from WaterGotHim’s Twitch stream that shows the YouTuber attempting and failing to get into a game. “WaterGotHim is banned, shadowbanned, and can no longer access any of his accounts… there was some merit to the rumors that I went ahead and posted in the videos.” Topic starts at 0:05 Respawn would never issue a ban unless they had a significant amount of evidence against a player. It’s clear the widespread discussion around WaterGotHim and the accusations spurred the developers to look into the issue further. For now, WaterGotHim has not responded or made any posts since receiving the ban.

  • Apex Legends YouTuber shows why Horizon’s bunny hops can lead to wins – Dexerto

Apex Legends YouTuber shows why Horizon’s bunny hops can lead to wins Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends YouTuber ‘The Gaming Merchant’ showed why Season 7 Legend, Horizon, has the best bunny hop in the game that can be a really big advantage if used correctly. The longtime Apex content creator saw that Horizon’s bunny hop has a unique attribute to her, which essentially lets her get to full strafe speed much quicker than any other Legend in the game. “When you combine bunny hopping and Horizon, some crazy things can end up happening,” The Gaming Merchant said, explaining how she had the most “efficient bunny hop style” out of the cast of characters. Since the Gravitational Manipulator has great air control built into her, she can chain these hops in a consistent manner that lets players rapidly skid across the map at a constant pace, according to the YouTuber. The YouTuber explained that it usually takes Legends “three hops per turn to get maximum momentum from air strafes.” However, Horizon can get to her max strafing movement in just one hop per turn. In practice, that means that players don’t have to mix up their movement to achieve the fastest b-hops; instead, they can calculate exactly what path they want to take, knowing that Horizon can reach max speed in any direction. Showing off how the mechanic works in live matches, The Gaming Merchant can be seen absolutely running circles around entire teams without skipping a beat. Even more impressive is how Horizon’s bunny hops can still be seamlessly chained even if she falls from high places. While her unique hops amp up her attack, being able to hop away at max speed from a fall can lend a hand when trying to escape a chasing opponent. Seeing as how diversity in your movement can make or break a match in Apex Legends, this could be a game-changer for Horizon mains if used correctly. We’ve already seen some tricks uncovered with Horizon’s ability kit, like the Gravity Lift in certain places, that gives her tricky moves to deal with as an opponent. Now it looks like Apex Legends players have another way to squeeze out that extra movement speed from the game’s latest character to join the battle royale.

  • Apex Legends YouTuber runs experiment to find out how hard it is to get Heirlooms – Dexerto

Apex Legends YouTuber runs experiment to find out how hard it is to get Heirlooms Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends YouTuber The Gaming Merchant decided to conduct an experiment to find out how rare Heirlooms are in packs. Although the Apex Legends community loves collecting skins, banners, holosprays, and charms, there’s one set of collectibles that every player is on the hunt for, and that’s Heirlooms. These Legend-themed weapons are released alongside limited-time collection events and once they come to an end, the only way to obtain an Heirloom is through opening packs. While it’s widely known that players are guaranteed an Heirloom after opening 500 packs, The Gaming Merchant decided to run an experiment to find out the base rarity of these sought-after items. How hard is it to get an Heirloom in Apex Legends? In order to work out the rough odds of receiving an Heirloom from a pack, The Gaming Merchant needed a large enough sample size, so they decided to ask for help from their community. In total, 6,400 pack openings were submitted across 6,000 accounts, with 38 Heirlooms being unboxed. While this did allow The Gaming Merchant to work out the odds, it’s worth noting that they couldn’t account for how close each of the players was to their guaranteed Heirloom at 500 packs. So to make the results slightly more accurate, The Gaming Merchant deducted all the entries from players who weren’t sure about how close they were to their guaranteed Heirloom. After that, the experiment revealed that out of 6,400 packs, 10 Heirlooms were unboxed, making the rarity around 0.16% or 1 in 625. Alongside a rough percentage, The Gaming Merchant also revealed that there’s no indication that the number of packs opened increases your chance of receiving an Heirloom. This has been a point of discussion in the community for a while, so it seems like the debate can finally be put to bed. – 6,400 apex packs opened across ~6,000 accounts – 38 heirlooms unboxed – 10 of those were 100% not their 500th pack – That equals 1 in 625 chance There’s a huge margin of error, I think the rumored 1 in 500 chance, or 0.2% per pack is likely— The Gaming Merchant (@GamingMerchant_) November 30, 2021 Keep in mind, The Gaming Merchant has acknowledged that the experiment has a huge margin of error as every player’s pack count cannot be tracked. However, the experiment did give us a rough outline of how hard it is to get Heirloom from a base Apex Legends pack. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone decides to test this with a larger sample size in the future. Of course, running this test fr0m a single and brand new account would help with the accuracy but would cost a huge amount of money to conduct.

  • Apex Legends YouTuber breaks damage world record set by iiTzTimmy – Dexerto

Apex Legends YouTuber breaks damage world record set by iiTzTimmy Respawn EntertainmentA Japanese Apex Legends YouTuber has broken the in-game damage world record, but they’ve made it very clear that it shouldn’t be compared to Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An’s 9k solo game. Time to kill in Apex Legends is a lot slower compared to other battle royale titles such as Warzone and Fortnite. As enemy squads are usually equipped with multiple Shield Batteries and Med Kits, it’s essential players look to deplete these resources by racking up damage on their opponents. Respawn Entertainment even rewards players with badges for reaching a specific amount of damage in a single game, with 4,000 being the hardest badge to obtain. Despite this, there’s always a group of players that manage to push the boundaries of what the developers thought was possible, hitting unbelievable damage numbers. Back in February, Twitch streamer iiTzTimmy managed to break the record with a 9069 damage solo game. Now, a Japanese YouTuber has smashed that number, but said both records shouldn’t be compared. RakyThought sets new damage world record Apex Legends YouTuber RakyThought has broken the in-game damage world record, reaching 10864 damage in a single match. The unbelievable achievement has been uploaded to their channel where viewers can see the whole game unfold. The talented Apex player used the Spitfire and the EVA-8 as their primary weapons throughout the entire match. While there were a few close-fought gunfights, it was obvious RakyThought was in control the entire time and looking to pick up as much damage as possible. Realizing that their damage world record was inevitably going to be compared to iiTzTimmy’s 9k solo game, RakyThought addressed the issue below the video. In a pinned comment, the YouTuber acknowledged that they could never beat Timmy’s 9k damage in Solos and that their records shouldn’t be compared. “For those who compare with Timmy, it was easy because I’m at a full party… Solo is too difficult for me to do, so Timmy is better.” RakyThought’s humble statement does show why it’s important to take the context of each of the damage records into consideration. However, despite achieving the milestone in a premade group, it remains the highest recorded amount of damage ever reached in an Apex game to date. With it being 1795 damage above Timmy’s personal best, it’ll be interesting to see if the Twitch streamer attempts to surpass the new record with a premade group in the near future.

  • Apex Legends Xbox Predator players caught DDoSing lobbies in Ranked – Dexerto

Apex Legends Xbox Predator players caught DDoSing lobbies in Ranked Respawn EntertainmentA set of top 20 Apex Legends Xbox Predator players have been caught DDoSing in Ranked to farm LP and climb the ladder unfairly. Although many Apex Legends players are satisfied with taking down opponents casually in pubs, others prefer a more competitive environment against foes of a similar skill level. That’s exactly why Ranked exists, allowing players to garner LP and climb the ladder based on their in-game performances. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to put in the hard work to beat their opponents fairly and instead use third-party software to cheat. While this most commonly comes in the form of an aimbot, another method is DDoSing the servers, making it impossible for opponents to fight back. Well, a set of top 20 Xbox Predators have been caught red-handed crashing lobbies and the community wants Respawn to hand out permanent bans to all of them. Top Xbox Predator players caught DDoSing in Ranked Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Creative_Series5860 has accused a set of top Ranked Xbox Predators of DDoSing their match. The competitors in question are I Am Joeson, MX7 Laya, and A7y2, who in the clip can be seen racking up kills on players who are unable to fight back. As you can see when a lobby is DDoSed even performing simple movements is extremely difficult, and enemies standing in front of you are seemingly immune to bullets. According to Creative_Series5860, A7y2 was an infamous DDoSer last season who reached top Predator and has now returned on an account called APEXGHOSTING. Providing even more evidence on Twitter, Creative_Series5860 shows the enemies’ perspective after they’ve been eliminated from the match. All of the accused players are seemingly unaffected by any lag, so that rules out the potential to blame the crashes on server issues. As expected, these clips have caused a lot of frustration in the Apex community and left players complaining that “Respawn takes way too long to ban these kind of cheaters”. With competitors saying high-ranked is in the “worst state it’s ever been”, it’s obvious players feel as if the integrity of Ranked is being lost as so many cheaters are lingering at the top.

  • Apex Legends Xbox crashing exploit: Respawn respond as Ranked ruined by sore losers – Dexerto

Apex Legends Xbox crashing exploit: Respawn respond as Ranked ruined by sore losers Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends dev has confirmed that Respawn is working on another fix for the crashing exploit causing havoc in Xbox lobbies. As Apex Legends is a multiplayer battle royale that’s constantly online, it requires Respawn to react quickly to an issue when it’s affecting players or preventing them from playing. While Legend balancing and minor glitches can often be left for patches to fix, some problems have to be addressed immediately. This is certainly the case when it comes to server issues or exploits that crash lobbies, as it prevents a huge portion of the community from playing the game as intended. Well, Respawn is dealing with exactly that on Xbox at the moment, as an exploit triggered by players is crashing matches and making it impossible to play. Apex Legends dev confirms Xbox lobby exploit fix is coming Since Season 13 went live, an exploit that’s triggered by players has been causing Xbox lobbies to crash, making it impossible for a lot of console players to enjoy Saviors. Luckily, the devs were quick to respond, with Security Analyst at Respawn Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford revealing that a fix had been rolled out for the issue on May 18. Despite this, it didn’t take the devs long to realize that the problem was still affecting players, as there were constant complaints from those on Xbox that the crashes were still occurring. Now, on May 20, Hideouts has confirmed once again that another fix is being worked on and the team will update the community when more information is available. Aware the fix failed. Team is working on another fix. Will update when it is ready to go. Thanks for being patient with this, Legends. — Conor Ford / Hideouts (@RSPN_Hideouts) May 20, 2022 If you play Apex on Xbox, it may be best to avoid playing Ranked for a little while until the devs provide an update on the situation, as you may risk losing some of your RP. Hopefully, Respawn can resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but with the first fix going wrong, it may take them a lot longer than usual to solve the problem.

  • Apex Legends x Titanfall single-player game ‘quietly’ canceled by EA – Dexerto

Apex Legends x Titanfall single-player game ‘quietly’ canceled by EA EABoth set in the same universe, a single-player game that would have finally bridged the games of Titanfall and Apex Legends was unfortunately canceled by EA. The release of Apex Legends was one of the oddest and most shocking. The game dropped seemingly out of nowhere from acclaimed shooter studio Respawn, three years after Titanfall 2 was released. While fans of the Titanfall series were expecting a third installment, they were instead hit with a fully-online battle royale set in the same universe without a connective story. Respawn’s pivot meant that it was unlikely that a third Titanfall game would be coming anytime soon. Those hopes have dwindled further in the coming years, largely due to Respawn’s parent company, EA’s changing direction. New information suggests that a possible link tying Apex and Titanfall together is now also in jeopardy. Apex Legends x Titanfall single-player game scrapped by EA In recent weeks, EA has made a sharp pivot regarding upcoming projects, which include Respawn games. On January 31, it was announced that Apex Legends mobile would be sunset along with other mobile projects. But quietly, EA may have cancelled another, unannounced game. According to Bloomberg insider Jason Schreier, EA also cancelled an unannounced single-player game, also set in the same universe as both Apex Legends and Titanfall. This news, along with the shuttering of Apex Legends and delays to games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, have given gamers trepidation about the future of EA games. Several commenters on Twitter pointed out that this change in direction is also a bad sign for the still-awaited Titanfall 3, while others on Reddit have speculated that EA may be shifting resources away from Apex Legends. Although it seems that EA has killed this project early in its development and is promising to move the team working on this mystery game to other projects, it still is not a great time for fans of this shared universe.

  • Apex Legends writers working on “the biggest quest” for upcoming season – Dexerto

Apex Legends writers working on “the biggest quest” for upcoming season Respawn Entertainment / EASeason 7 of Apex Legends is nearly halfway over, and players are already setting their sights on next season’s content. While its release date has not been confirmed, Respawn is hinting at some of the new story content coming in Season 8. Apex Legends is in the thick of its seventh season: Ascension. Since its release on November 4, players have been exploring the game’s new content — map, vehicle, and Legend — along with two new Ranked splits. Season 7 doesn’t end until February 1, but players are already guessing what Respawn will bring to their title in Season 8. And, fortunately, it appears the devs have already dropped a hint of what players can expect in the game’s next content drop. On December 20, senior writer Tom Casiello tweeted out some new information on Season 8. The Respawn employee dropped some big news about a new quest coming in the game’s first season of 2021. Spending Xmas break writing the biggest quest since S5’s Broken Ghost. It’s so big, we need every Legend involved again.*** This *is* how I relax. (***Legends stabbed through the chest during live television interviews not included due to their ongoing state of deadness.) https://t.co/3qe2ZpROe3 — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) December 20, 2020 Casiello teased fans by saying he’s “spending Xmas break writing the biggest quest since S5’s Broken Ghost.” According to the writer, Season 8’s new quest is “so big, we need every Legend involved again.” Read More: When does Apex Legends Season 8 start? – While the tweet does not reveal any story details or plot points for Season 8, it’s a good indication of the scale of PVE content players can expect in the third year of Apex Legends. Respawn first incorporated PVE content into Apex Legends during Season 5, with the addition of Loba and her Broken Ghost quest. The quest introduced weekly “Hunt” activities, where players would enter a PVE encounter and complete objectives to advance the story. After the Broken Ghost quest, Respawn decided to shy away from more PVE-focused experiences. In the last two seasons, the game’s on-going storyline has been shared with players via in-game comics that are refreshed every week. Although Apex is primarily a battle royale experience, Respawn has said they are open to experimenting with alternative game modes. The current Winter Express LTM is a perfect example of how the Apex Legends experience can be expanded outside of the BR format. Most LTMs in the past have been variations of the Apex BR experience, but Respawn could certainly experiment outside of that in the future. With the apparent return of a seasonal PVE quest activity in Season 8, this shift already appears to be underway.

  • Apex Legends writers reveal more on Loba’s abilities & role in Season 5 – Dexerto

Apex Legends writers reveal more on Loba’s abilities & role in Season 5 Respawn EntertainmentLoba is Apex Legends’ newest character, and the game’s writers have hinted at her abilities, story, and how she factors into changes expected for Season 5. The fifth season of Apex Legends, Fortune’s Favor, launches on May 12. So far, we know that Loba will be released, but not what her role is or how the game’s map will be impacted. Her cinematic trailer and in-game teasers have revealed two other pieces of information: she possesses the technological capacity for teleportation, and still hates Revenant. New details about Loba Following YouTuber ‘staycation’s’ interview with Respawn Entertainment’s writers, Tom Casiello and Ashley Reed, we now know some more. While they remained mostly coy, they still made strong hints about her and Season 5, which Casiello expects to be “a real turning point for Apex Legends.” Many have wondered about Loba’s abilities, skins and in-game quips. In her trailer, she is seen wielding a staff and, in the in-game teaser, her ability to teleport is shown. When asked if said staff would be incorporated in her abilities, Casiello excitedly suggested that it “very well could!” As for teleportation, he confirmed that she has the capacity to do so, but also dispelled theories that it operates like Wraith’s teleportation: “We are not going into the Void … the Void is safe for Wraith” The writers also discussed what fans believed were two notable visual cues from the trailer: the glowing gems of a stolen necklace, and a sleek stolen mask. Reed asserted that the gems are in no way related to her abilities, while suggesting that the mask could, one day, be part of a legendary skin: “Never say never!” Satiating fan curiosity surrounding Revenant and Loba’s in-game interactions, the writers confirmed that they’ve worked for months to ensure that players’ “experience playing with Revenant and Loba is as authentic as it possibly can be.” So there should be some spicy quips, at the very least. Hints at Season 5’s map and Loba’s involvement They also touched on the prospective map and story changes coming into play for Season 5. Many theories have played with concepts of laboratories, particularly underground ones, and the roles of the Harvester and Hammond Robotics. Without giving too much away, Casiello confirmed that her “relationship with Hammond will be explored very much in Season 5” – specifying that players will “get to see how she interacts” with the mysterious company. Further, he elaborated that the Harvester is going to be heavily involved in Season 5 “and in seasons beyond.” When pressed on the teased subterranean laboratories, he held back from confirming speculation and simply asserted that everything “will be answered in the launch trailer for the season.” So Loba’s teleportation and staff will almost certainly be a factor in Season 5, but her character will also have a major impact on the season’s map. Now we can’t wait for the official launch trailer.

  • Apex Legends writers reveal how WWE & Catwoman inspired Loba’s design – Dexerto

Apex Legends writers reveal how WWE & Catwoman inspired Loba’s design Respawn Entertainment / WWEThe newest Apex Legends character, Loba, is an illustrious criminal whose reported inspirations range from the WWE and Bayonetta, to Shakira and Catwoman. While much of the response to Loba’s reveal has centered around her unique abilities and brilliantly developed story, the comments and memes about her appearance have been inescapable. In one specific example, a Redditor, ‘moe_baj’ contrasted the seemingly genderless portrayal of Apex Legends’ initial female characters with Loba’s clear femininity and the community’s response. With that in mind, it’s worth exploring how Respawn Entertainment’s writers explain the shift in appearance and attitude, with a focus on the variety of sources that inspired Loba’s design. As explained by writers Tom Casiello and Ashley Reed, Loba was first pitched by Casiello and finalized by Reed, with input from the office’s women throughout. Initially, Casiello called upon his experience writing for the WWE’s female superstars for early conceptualizations. While with the WWE, female superstars told Casiello that “while they wanted to be equal, on equal footing as men, we shouldn’t write them like men. Because they’re still women.” While the treatment of female characters as one-dimensional eye candy is a typical trope in gaming, Apex’s women are storied soldiers, all the way on the opposite end of the spectrum. Although Casiello was fond of those characters, his chief push to create Loba was the realization that “there was just a complete erasure of s*xuality and … that’s almost as s*xist as doing all s*xuality, and so I really wanted to introduce a female character who kind of owned her s*xuality and kind of owned who she is and liked to look good when she wakes up in the morning.” In order to ensure that this inspiration, drawn from the sentiment of WWE’s finest, was not misguided—Casiello first pitched the character to all of the office’s women: “We were heavily involved with all the women in the office, trying to make this realistic and not the typical female video game character.” In a specific example, before Reed took over Loba’s development, Casiello cites producer Tina Sanchez as instrumental to the character’s creation, Tweeting that she was “not only part of the first Loba pitch, but was instrumental and vital to her look, her style, her personality and her story.” Upon Reed’s involvement, Loba’s feminine, empowered and three-dimensional character became even further developed. From the beginning, Reed explained that she “was really excited … because it was a character I, in some ways, identified with.” “For inspiration … I probably watched that Shakira “She Wolf” video 100 times, just had it on in the background. … For video games, I thought about Bayonetta … widely beloved in my experience. She is definitely a very sensual lady, but she’s also very much herself. You can see why that character is the way she is, so she’s a complete person.” Coquettish, seductive and, most importantly, an entirely self-owned boss. Whether the inspiration comes from a Colombian singer or an Umbran witch, it’s clear that Loba’s femininity is her own and not simply the skimpy attire of a classic RPG babe. As for the moment at which Casiello knew Reed had mastered the character he hoped to create, it came when she described Loba as Catwoman, but “if Catwoman had Bruce Wayne’s checking account.” “You should smile more.” *headshot* Clear front-runner for all-time favorite interaction in a video game https://t.co/YVU5aCoHqm — Sam Maggs (@SamMaggs) May 8, 2020 Ultimately, Loba may be perceived as eye candy. But that’s a character decision, not a visual one. The best example of her self-reflective turn on traditional tropes is her voiceline heard during the Season 5 trailer, in which she tells Revenant “you should smile more” before putting a barrell to his dome. Flipping one of the most notorious, misogynistic lines is peak Loba energy and a testament to her influences. Reed commented that “every single woman who heard that line during production smiled or laughed” and Sanchez noted that she was “glad the guys trusted the ladies on this one.”

  • Apex Legends writer teases new Loba lore after Season 6 trailer concerns – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer teases new Loba lore after Season 6 trailer concerns Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment writer Tom Casiello gave Apex Legends fans a bit of relief after the Season 6 trailer made some wonder what happened to the Loba and Revenant storyline. There’s been a ton of development as it concerns the High Society Thief and the Synthetic Nightmare’s story which has been explored since Revenant first came on to the scene. But the dreadful, gloomy feel of the tense storyline took a seat on the sidelines in the Season 6 trailer as Legends romped in explosions and gunfire. While the preview was a breath of fresh air for people who wanted to get back to the fun aspects of the battle royale, it didn’t really have anything in regards to the heavy lore that the studio has been building up so far. Even though the latest retailer confirmed new Legend Rampart, people were wondering if that meant the interweaving stories already established were going to take a break. Addressing these concerns, Casiello’s responses to fans on Twitter reassured them that there definitely will be more Loba and Rev interplay, but it’ll be coming later. “Oh, it’s not over yet. Not by a long shot,” he said in response to an appreciation post for the Loba story in the last season. “Just because they weren’t the centerpiece of the trailer, doesn’t mean they don’t have a role to play in Season 6.” The Respawn writer even said that players will find out more about Wattson and her story too. But that will probably be a bit later since creating these meaningful stories, “with an ever growing cast, it isn’t easy.” Oh, trust me. We’ll get back to trailers like that. After the last two seasons with the Revenant/Loba saga, we wanted to get back to hijinx and shenanigans. Good old fashioned shoot ‘em up fun. A nice break. But we have big angst-filled plans, so enjoy this while it lasts… 😈 https://t.co/Sso39RupuY — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) August 8, 2020 As for the early parts of the upcoming chapter, it’s going to be Apex Legends like the fans have known it to be for a long time. “After the last two seasons with the Revenant/Loba saga, we wanted to get back to hijinx and shenanigans,” Casiello said of the style depicted in the Season 6 trailer. “Good old fashioned shoot ‘em up fun. A nice break. But we have big angst-filled plans, so enjoy this while it lasts…” This is great news for all camps of the Apex Legends fanbase; not only is Respawn taking the game back to its fun roots, they’re also giving themselves more time to really flesh the next phases of the expansive lore revolving around Loba, Wattson, and more.

  • Apex Legends dev teases major Bangalore storyline starting in Season 6 – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev teases major Bangalore storyline starting in Season 6 Respawn EntertainmentFormer IMC soldier and Apex Legends heroine Anita “Bangalore” Williams will be “front and center” in one of the battle royale’s new upcoming Season 6 storylines, Respawn writer Tom Casiello has revealed this week. There are plenty of battle royales on the gaming market these days, but none focus on their characters quite like Apex Legends. Respawn’s popular title has a two dozen-strong roster of colorful cast-members, from fast-talking trickster Mirage and science-obsessed killer Caustic, to dimension-hopping Wraith. The new ‘Broken Ghost’ quest lines gave nearly all of the characters even more development this season too. These short player-vs-enemy missions came packaged with well-received cut-scenes that told the story of each Legend. Not all Legends have shared the spotlight equally in Apex’s first five seasons, however. Some, like Wraith and Bloodhound, have already got cinematic trailers telling their backstories. Others, like new characters Loba and Revenant, have been key figures in the Broken Ghost storyline. Well-trained soldier Bangalore has been one of the characters without much love from Respawn so far. Apart from her military background, players don’t know a whole lot about Anita Williams, despite her status as a lunch Legend. All that is set to change in Season 6, Battle royale writer Tom Casiello revealed earlier this week. Bangalore will most definitely be “front and center” during the next major storyline in Apex Legends, the penman confirmed. “Now do you think we’d put our girl [Bangalore] front and center, only to just drop her in Season 6? Oh, ye, of little faith…” Casiello said in response to a fan on Twitter. “That tough ‘not here to make friends’ facade is just starting to crack. She’s letting her guard down a little. That means her journey’s just getting started!” Now do you think we’d put our girl front and center, only to just drop her in Season Six? Oh, ye, of little faith… That tough “not here to make friends” facade is just starting to crack. She’s letting her guard down a little, and that means her journey’s just getting started! https://t.co/ZYTxpN4pT5 — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 12, 2020 Casiello was relatively quiet about where the storyline first setup in Broken Ghost might go next season, and fair enough. Respawn has only just started building the Apex plot — they wouldn’t want to spoil it all just yet. They haven’t really been shy about teasing new plot developments though. Last season Apex game director Chad Grenier promised Titanfall 2 fans they were “in for a pleasant surprise” in the near future. Soon after, subtle teasers relating to franchise villain Ash popped up in the Broken Ghost rewards. These teasers could well be related to Bangalore’s upcoming Season 6 story too. Before she was a Legend, Williams was part of the IMC — just like Ash and Apex founder Blisk did years before — so it makes sense they could be linked. There’s also a chance we see a different version of Bangalore all together. Casiello teased there were “an infinite number of realities” in the Apex universe, meaning the devs can really take the story wherever they want it to go. Before Bangalore takes center stage in the next part of the Apex Legends story, Respawn has two other plots they have to bring to boil. One is the conclusion of the Broken Ghost. That is due out in-game on Wednesday, July 15. The other is the mystery of the Kings Canyon bunkers and what Crypto is doing in the Games in the first place. The hacker has already received a coded message from his long-lost sister — what’s next for Apex’s Surveillance Expert.

  • Apex Legends writer reveals that AI Pathfinder bots are coming – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer reveals that AI Pathfinder bots are coming Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is soon going to have a much stronger presence of Pathfinder-like robots called MRVNs that were prominently featured in the Titanfall franchise, according to Respawn Entertainment writer Tom Casiello It’s unclear when MRVNs are coming to Apex or how they would be integrated into the story, but Tom Casiello revealed that they were planned for Season 4 but a change of course in development delayed their appearance. That said, he did emphasize the mechanical automatons would make their way to the battle royale in the future. Players already have reason to believe the next event will be centered around Crypto in some capacity, but the writer explained how the latest season was “almost” going to be inhabited by Mk. III’s. Casiello revealed previous ideas that the studio had which included new voice lines for Pathfinder and his robotic brethren in the game, whenever they were in a position to interact. “Fun fact – we almost had MRVNs in World’s Edge in Season 4, and even recorded lines for Pathfinder to say to them,” Casiello said in reply to a question asking about Pathfinder’s lore with other bots of his kind. “Plans changed for various reasons, but when those guys finally DO show up, you can bet Pathfinder will have something to say to them!” Fun fact – we *almost* had MRVNs in World’s Edge in Season 4, and even recorded lines for Pathfinder to say to them. Plans changed for various reasons, but when those guys finally *do* show up, you can bet Pathfinder will have something to say to them! https://t.co/dMQTGbn8uh — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) June 16, 2020 As one of the Apex Games more chatty Legends, Pathfinder would presumably have a lot to say to his lookalikes since the reason that the Forward Scout first joined the competition to find out more about his own past. Casiello’s comments have spurred speculation of a possible Town Takeover for Pathfinder in the future, although he could also be hinting at a major shift in the Apex story that brings an MRVN crew to the Arena. MRVNs could be commonly seen in Titanfall, Respawn’s studio staple before their breakout battle royale hit. They are near identical to Pathfinder, who is a MRVN unit with a heightened level of self-awareness which eventually led him to the Arena. The connection between MRVNs, Pathfinder, and Apex Legends lies with Hammond Robotics, the company that operates in the Outlands and has, so far, played a major role in the game’s lore. Read more: Apex Legends kill records – Hammond created MRVNs, and subsequently Pathfinder, to perform various tasks in the background, and could perform a similar job if they were to come to Apex, although it remains to be seen how that’ll fit in the overall scope of the BR. Time will tell how Casiello and the Apex Legends devs decide to integrate the Titanfall fan-favorite bots, but the team already knows that Pathfinder will be looking forward to their arrival with some new sets of his usually-witty dialogue lines.

  • Apex Legends writer reveals new lore details for Octane & Mirage – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer reveals new lore details for Octane & Mirage Respawn EntertainmentTom Casiello, a Respawn Entertainment writer for Apex Legends, recently revealed some previously-unknown info regarding Octane’s and Mirage’s lore within the game’s story. As those who play Apex probably know, Respawn’s prize battle royale features a deep storyline and lore that goes way beyond the boundaries of the Apex Games. It’s through this the developers are able to introduce more content like new characters and map changes, all of which fit into one grand picture like pieces of a puzzle. While the newer Legends like Revenant, Crypto, Wattson, and even the unreleased Forge have a good deal of lore, some of the older characters, like Octane and Mirage, don’t have as complex of a story behind them. Mirage was the topic of one question directed towards Casiello during a Twitter Q&A on March 28, as one fan asked about the Holographic Trickster’s relationship to the AI announcer, whose voice booms through the map every match. The Respawn writer revealed the Legend does indeed know the announcer is AI, while also exploring some of the “internal insecurities” and even his former lover. That’s a story for another time. It’ll be interesting to see who he opens up to about that part of his life first….. — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) March 26, 2020 Inevitably, that spurred another fan to ask a question, this time about Octane’s love life and what the future holds for the Adrenaline Junkie in the game’s main story. “Hey Tom, a lot of Octane fans, such as myself, are wondering about two things – will Octane get more lore, will he ever have a part in the main storyline, and what is his relationship? A good majority of Octane fans support Octane x Wattson, is it true?” Fortunately for the many interested parties, Casiello answered yes to the first two but did dispel the rumor the speedster and Wattson are in a relationship. 1) Yes. 2) Yes. 3) He’s currently single. https://t.co/6HlFPZLoiL — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) March 27, 2020 Of course, those who may not be familiar with this aspect of the game could be taken aback by how massive the fanbase is for Apex Legends lore and story. This was the case for Twitter user ‘Minimoose,’ who made the mistake of asking “people actually ask for this?” to which Casiello replied with an explanation and warning wrapped in one. Respawn have already proven that they’re willing to not hold back when it comes to content like this, going as far as to include fake coding in the back-end files to fool dataminers and leakers. So, it looks like they are just getting started when it comes to revving their lore engines, as the Apex plot continues to thicken in coming seasons.

  • Apex Legends writer reveals how to find secret The Beatles easter egg – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer reveals how to find secret The Beatles easter egg Respawn Entertainment / Wikimedia CommonsFrom Bloodhound’s origin story, to the new Town Takeover, there’s plenty to explore in the Old Ways event. Apparently, even The Beatles are in on the action, with a new easter egg dedicated to the most influential band of all time. Apex Legends easter eggs never fail to deliver. From training yard dummies coming to life, to Star Wars tidbits buried in the battle royale lore, it’s always exciting — and now it looks like even The Beatles are getting in on the action too. The English rock band first formed in Liverpool in 1960, and soon rose to mega-fame across the world. Their globe-trotting influence seems to have even extended to Respawn’s writing room, considering new lore has them involved. Where can Apex players find the Beatles easter egg? Well, not all of The Beatles’ iconic lineup. According to Apex penman Manny Hagopian, there is a little dedication to the group’s legendary lead guitarist George Harrison buried in the new Bloodhound lore, as well as their original story. Two of the game’s characters are named after a throwaway line Harrison said in the Beatles flick “A Hard Day’s Night,” released in 1964, the Apex writer continued. In the comedy, George revealed he hilariously named his hair Artur. Thus, Bloodhound’s raven was named, Hagopian explained. Not only that, but when the Old Ways event came around, the lineage continued. It was confirmed in the Takeover teaser the Félagi fighter’s uncle was also called Artur. “Confession… while creating the backstory for Bloodhound, I was asked what their bird’s name was — I said: “Artur.” This is in reference to the name George Harrison calls his hair in one of my favorite movies,” Hagopian revealed on Twitter. #ApexLegends Confession: Now that everyone knows who Artur is. While creating the backstory for Bloodhound, I was asked what their bird’s name was – I said: “Artur”. This is in reference to the name George Harrison calls his hair in one of my favorite movies “A Hard Day’s Night.” — Manny “No Fart Jokes Plez” Hagopian (@MannyHagopian) April 6, 2020 Artur’s Apex Legends voice actor revealed That wasn’t all that was wrapped into the name too though, Hagopian continued. According to the Apex writer, it is also what famous American actor Del Close called his well-known form of improv, also called “the Harold.” Finally, Hagopian unveiled the man who brought Bloodhound’s mentor Artur to life — Nick E. Tarabay. The actor is know for bringing Spartacus villain Ashur to life in the 2010 series. He also made short appearances in The Expanse and Arrow. “For those asking, Artur is voiced by the outstanding Nick E. Tarabay, which makes this the second actor from Spartacus (2010) I’ve been lucky to collaborate with after Liam McIntyre as Malicos in Jedi: Fallen Order,” the Apex writer said. https://twitter.com/nicktarabay/status/1247280629550546946?s=20 There might not be any more musical easter eggs hidden in Respawn’s ever-expanding title, but there’s certainly a lengthy list of other secrets players have discovered in Apex Legends since it was released in early 2019. From the aforementioned living dummies and Star Wars secrets, to a fun third-person egg and a giant Nessy model, there’s plenty to discover. Easter eggs are even appearing on menus now too, so keep your eyes peeled!

  • Apex Legends writer reveals Broken Ghost quest sequel was scrapped – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer reveals Broken Ghost quest sequel was scrapped Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends writer Tom Casiello has confirmed that a sequel to Season 5’s Broken Ghost quest was scrapped, explaining why Bangalore has taken a back seat in Season 6. Fans of Bangalore were especially excited for Season 6 after Casiello, back in July, said that the Professional Soldier would be “front and center” in the Apex Legends narrative. He suggested that a major storyline regarding Bangalore would be explored in the game’s sixth season. However, when it dropped on August 18, there was not a lot to be found, leaving some fans disappointed. He was asked about the Bangalore back story by one Apex player on October 4 and, in answering the question, revealed the Broken Ghost sequel “never saw the light of day”. “Ah yes…back when I was writing the Broken Ghost sequel that never saw the light of day,” Casiello responded. “What lesson did we learn back then, kids? That at any given moment in gaming, everything can change and that thing you were working on doesn’t actually exist anymore.” Ah yes…back when I was writing the Broken Ghost sequel that never saw the light of day. What lesson did we learn back then, kids? That at any given moment in gaming, everything can change and that thing you were working on doesn’t actually exist anymore. 🤷♂️🤣 — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) October 4, 2020 Instead, Season 6 still had a quest, but not in the same way as it was carried out in Season 5. Instead of gameplay segments, they moved to a comic book format, with new comics coming out each week up until the final ‘First Ship’ in week 7. While Bangalore fans will still be disappointed with the shelving of back story for their favorite legend, game development is always subject to changes, as Respawn regularly shake things up even as they go. There is some good news for Bangalore mains though, as leakers claim she’s next in line to get an Heirloom, after Caustic. And, fans can still expect a focus on Bangalore’s back story at some point in the future, even if it doesn’t come in Season 6.

  • Apex Legends writer promises “fun” Mirage storyline coming in Season 6 – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer promises “fun” Mirage storyline coming in Season 6 Respawn EntertainmentHaven’t had enough of fast-talking, wise-cracking Apex Legends funny guy Mirage just yet? Good, because he’s getting even more “fun” storylines once Season 6 arrives, according to a promise from battle royale writer Tom Casiello. Mirage spent much of the early days of Apex Legends basically on the sideline. He was one of the worst picks in-game, and had little in the way of character development in the lore too. Season 4 changed all that, however. The fast-talking trickster copped a monster buff, which fired him to the top of the metagame. Soon after, the Apex writers began pouring lore tidbits for the confident-yet-nervous Elliot Witt into the game. Mirage fans are certainly living in a golden age for their character too; the trickster will join IMC soldier Bangalore and revenge-chasing Loba as a central Legend in Season 6, at least according to Respawn writer Tom Casiello. Casiello’s promise of more “fun” storylines for the Holographic Trickster came in a Twitter thread that started with a quintessential Casiello joke. The Apex Legends penman ‘admitted’ (read: joked) the writing team had, unfortunately, “taken a season off lore-writing.” Of course, the Apex Legends fandom spun up into a tizzy; Respawn’s battle royale has been fired to all-new levels of popularity, thanks to its character narratives. It was “truly a shame” there’d be no more lore in season six — especially for Mirage — one Apex fan replied, and others echoed the sentiment too. Casiello couldn’t keep the facade up for long, though the writer did follow up the jokes with another classic tongue-in-cheek post. He tagged co-writers Manny Hagopian and Ashley Reed, and pretended to be disappointed lore had been binned, before making a roundabout Mirage promise. “We aren’t?? Nobody told us! Hey, @MannyHagopian and @ashsmashreed! I guess that’s it for Mirage lore, folks. Throw out everything we had planned for him in Season Six. Would’ve been fun too! Oh well,” he wrote, seemingly enjoying himself. We aren’t?! Nobody told us. Hey, @MannyHagopian and @ashsmashreed! I guess that’s it for Mirage lore, folks. Throw out everything we had planned for him in Season Six. Would’ve been fun too. Oh well. 🤷♂️ https://t.co/evYkl55ZgY — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) August 9, 2020 There’s no telling exactly what kind of stories Mirage might be getting in Apex’s sixth season, however. The title’s main storyline heading into Season 6 is focused on Loba and Revenant; it could even see players head to new world Olympus. Read more: Did Apex tease Olympus in Season 6 trailer? – The Broken Ghost questline from last season also brought back Titanfall 2 villain Ash in the adventure’s jaw-dropping conclusion. Season 6 will also add turret-wielding Legend Rampart, who seems to be involved with Ash and Blisk. Gameplay-wise, the battle royale will also get a few major changes. Respawn is adding new “crafting” mechanics to the game, and there’s a chance Apex Legends will finally get its third new arena map, Olympus, this month too. Basically, Apex Legends could go anywhere when the next season arrives on August 18. The Respawn writing team has been flexing its muscles in recent seasons — even while locked in quarantine — and the future is getting brighter.

  • Apex Legends writer explains why they can’t use fan-made concepts – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer explains why they can’t use fan-made concepts EAOne of the writers behind Apex Legends has delved into why they can’t take inspiration from fan-made concepts, with the top and tail of it all coming down to plagiarism. There’s an abundance of fan-made fiction and/or concepts about the Apex Legends universe. Right across Twitter, YouTube and Reddit there’s always a constant stream of ideas from passionate minds, eager to have their input flaunted in-game. Who better to understand what the game needs, than the very people who play it day-in, day-out? Given just how responsive Respawn can be on forums, surely they’ll take inspiration from some of these ideas at some point? Well, it turns out that is most definitely not the case, as writers aren’t just tasked with creating compelling storylines for players, but must do so while avoiding any potential claims of plagiarism. Tom Casiello, one of the minds behind the gripping narrative in Apex Legends, explained exactly why he cannot afford to even look into the labyrinth of fan fiction that has been put out there. “It’s all about the worst-case scenario. But it’s a worst-case scenario that can end your career: the plagiarism accusation,” Casiello began. “There are only so many ideas, and if I accidentally stumble into a character someone else thinks they created and I stole from them, then they can sue me.” This has been a personal policy drilled into my head since my first writing gig in 1998. And it’s all about the worst case scenario. But it’s a worst case scenario that can end your career: the plagiarism accusation. There are only so many ideas, and if I accidentally stumble… — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 25, 2020 ….into a character someone else thinks they created and I stole from them, then they can sue me. And/or the company I work for. And if there’s a record anywhere on any computer that I read that tweet with that oc, they have a case. OR…even WORSE…what if I… — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 25, 2020 Casiello then went on to explain how he cannot afford to even look at the multitude of concepts that are sent his way, referring to an instance that cropped up during a previous line of work. “I wrote a joke into an episode of a TV show that I swear I thought of myself. Two months later, I caught it on an episode of The Simpsons from 1996. That line was somewhere in my subconscious and I had no idea it was from another show.” Essentially, the Respawn team have to limit themselves to their thoughts and ideas, to ensure nothing comes back to haunt them later down the line. But those well-thought-out concepts won’t go to waste completely, as Casiello vowed to read them once his work on Apex Legends has come to an end.

  • Apex Legends writer drops cryptic hints for Season 4, Forge & Revenant – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer drops cryptic hints for Season 4, Forge & Revenant EARespawn Entertainment are ramping up towards the release of a brand new legend in Apex Legends Season 4, but will it be Forge or Revenant? One of the writers working on the game has dropped some more clues. It was first announced that Forge would be the new legend coming in Season 4, but a surprise twist saw Revenant (another leaked legend) literally stab him in the back. With Forge now (seemingly) dead, Revenant is set to take his place in the Apex Games. However, Tom Casiello, one of the writers working on Apex Legends, has hinted there is more twist to come in the story yet. As fans speculate about the fate of Forge, with some suggesting Revenant actually killed a body-double, the writer his given some cryptic hints. On January 27, Casiello tweeted “there’s another whole week until Season Four. Wonder what will happen between now and then…” leaving fans seeking with more questions than answers. “Call him Jimmy…” Sure been an eventful few days in the Outlands. And there’s another whole week until Season Four. Wonder what will happen between now and then… 🤔 https://t.co/1D75DI0hXC — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) January 27, 2020 In a follow-up tweet, Casiello responded directly to speculation about Forge having a body-double. Fans noticed that the Forge who was stabbed had a scar on his eye, but Forge in the official teasers does not. When a fan asked about the peculiar missing scar, the writer simply responded “Good question. Only time will tell…” This could mean that the scar is nothing at all, but it seems the writer was aware of the difference already. Finally, as fans are still waiting patiently on official confirmation of the new legend, Casiello teased that the “story’s just getting started…” I never said it would be something unexpected. I said the story’s just getting started… — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) January 27, 2020 As he says, there is still time before Season 4 begins for yet another twist in the story. Some have even speculated that Rosie, another leaked legend, could come back to help Forge. Considering the developers have spent so much time making Forge’s backstory, and a full set of abilities, it seems unlikely that they would completely delete the character at this point. The exact start date for the new season is February 4, and Respawn no doubt have some more tricks up their sleeve.

  • Apex Legends writer drops clues about Forge’s ‘death’ ahead of Season 4 – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer drops clues about Forge’s ‘death’ ahead of Season 4 EAFor a while, fans thought Forge as going to be the next character added for Apex Legends Season 4, but he was subsequently killed off – or was he? Respawn decided to channel their inner Mirage and deploy a bamboozle on the whole community by having Forge assassinated in a teaser video, which revealed Revenant to be the true new character. Just as players finally started coming around to Forge and liking him as a legend, the rug was pulled out from under them. Nobody is denying Revenant isn’t a cool character, but it does seem a bit strange to start fleshing out a new one, who has their own datamined abilities, just to have them unceremoniously killed off. Hold your ziplines though – Forge might not be dead according to some new evidence. Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello, who has already dropped hints about Forge’s fate, welcomed actor Darin De Paul to the team, revealing that he voices both Revenant and Forge. He then goes on a tangent hinting that Forge might not have been murdered in cold blood like players first thought. “Hmmmm…guess that means we have the voice of Forge available to us anytime we want, doesn’t it,” he said before going back and forth about the new character being deceased. He ended up leaving the door open to a return by saying he’s “maybe” dead, which definitely has fans asking questions. This revelation comes after a Respawn developer explicitly said the character was dead, so now we really don’t know what to expect with Forge. With each of the previous seasons, we’ve only seen one new character each time, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t receive two in Season 4. Revenant could still show up at the beginning and then maybe midway through, we could see Forge somehow pop up looking for revenge on this murderous robot. The possibilities are near endless and considering how much of a narrative the developers are spinning out of this incident, we’re sure we haven’t seen the end of the short-lived character. Apex Legends Season 4 kicks off February 4 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Apex Legends writer blasts leakers for being “selfish little twits” – Dexerto

Apex Legends writer blasts leakers for being “selfish little twits” Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer 2r7Ix61z]Respawn Entertainment writer Tom Casiello addressed Apex Legends leakers in a passionate rant, slamming them for disseminating info on story points, character reveals, and more ahead of schedule. Casiello explained his long history in the entertainment industry and how he’s experienced multiple forms of leakers, though they came with other names in their respective fields. As a former writer for soaps and wrestling, the Respawn talent has been through the gamut of people trying to get the scoop on projects he’s worked on. In speaking up for his colleagues, he condemned the repeated attempts from “selfish little twits hungry for internet infamy” who try to oust plot points before they officially come out. “If your purpose on the Internet is to spoil and leak things to fans ahead of time, and who cares if they glance past your half-assed ‘spoiler alert’ in the first line, I have zero use for you, and you will be blocked,” he said. …zero use for you, and you will be blocked. Maybe some of my colleagues have a higher tolerance for this kind of thing. But I’ve been dealing with these selfish little twits hungry for Internet infamy for 25 years. First in soaps (one guy dug through trash for our scripts)… — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) June 24, 2020 The years of planning that goes into the development and execution of Apex’s storylines can be marred in seconds due to a leak that gets shared shortly before its official reveal, according to Casiello. “The writing team works damn hard to keep a relentless schedule of reveals and plot twists and beats meticulously spread out over a week, a month, a year,” he explained. “And you ruin it for thousands of people in ten seconds, all for a lousy ‘like’ or ‘follow.’ So I want to be really direct here: I think you’re small.” He likened leakers to “cheaters” who cut corners in trying to be the first to reveal something new in Apex Legends. Community members chimed in and were largely in support of Casiello, although some made the distinction between the types of leaks that can come out. I get mad when people treat Gameplay leaks the same as Lore leaks, it’s not the same, Gameplay leaks (new items, guns, animations) increase the hype because the whole poin is playing it, but Lore leaks it’s a totaly diferent story where the whole point is know it — Vendrick (@VendrickSL1) June 24, 2020 “I get mad when people treat gameplay leaks the same as Lore leaks,” one user commented. “It’s not the same, gameplay leaks (new items, guns, animations) increase the hype because the whole point is playing it, but Lore leaks it’s a totally different story where the whole point is to know it.” There are also those who make no distinction between story and gameplay leaks since it takes away from the natural hype of a new reveal. Casiello’s remarks resonated with fans who took a similar position on leakers trying to get their hands on these kinds of spoilers. “You’re not smart or ‘in the know’… you’re just some dude who cuts corners,” the writer wrote. “Your average cheater. And I personally think you suck.” Respawn have attempted to combat that rampant datamining that goes on in the Apex community. One of their biggest and most successful efforts was planning a whole release for a new Legend named Forge at the start of Season 4, only to later reveal that all the info surrounding the character was fake and had been planted to throw leakers off the scent of Revenant. Several prominent dataminers have also vowed to avoid revealing lore-related content, instead, focusing their attention mainly on stuff like new items and weapons. While there will never be a fully leak-proof environment when it comes to Apex Legends, at least there are strides being made.

  • Apex Legends Wraith trick makes armories a death trap – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wraith trick makes armories a death trap Respawn EntertainmentA Wraith trick solves the difficulty of ambushing enemy Apex Legends teams when they emerge from the armories. Armories have been a somewhat controversial addition to Apex Legends. They only exist on Storm Point, and allow teams to safely loot at any point in the game without the risk of being killed by other squads. Once armories close, they’re locked until the people inside want to leave. And, though you can wait outside of armories and try to get the drop on those trying to farm for loot, taking down a squad before they blast off into the sky is easier said than done. However, a Wraith player found a way to set up the perfect trap for those trying to take advantage of the “safe” source of loot. Wraith trick makes Apex Legends armories a death trap Like many Wraith tricks before it, this one requires her ultimate. Abducting players with her ult is nothing new, but, this time, the trick is to place her portal exactly where teams blast off from the armory. This one requires a bit more patience and planning than some other Wraith abduction tricks, and Reddit user TerrorApoc shows how to pull off this trick perfectly. Placement is key here. Putting Wraith’s ultimate above where the ceiling opens up is essential to pulling this off. Patience comes into play when finding the right time to place the portal. Armories take a minute or two to finish, not including the time those inside spend looting. Placing Wraith’s portal too early can cause it to expire before it’s useful, especially if the ring is closing in. Wraith portals placed outside of the ring have a drastically reduced duration, so this is important to keep in mind if you’re trying to get the drop on a team that’s completing an armory as the ring closes in. If you want to add insult to injury, placing traps at the portal’s end point can help ensure victory. Legends like Wattson or Caustic really help here, but tossing a few grenades at the portal’s exit can do the job in a pinch.

  • Apex Legends fans shares amazing new look for Wraith – Dexerto

Apex Legends fans shares amazing new look for Wraith Apex Legends may have a lot of advantages over Fortnite but it seems fair to say it’s lagging behind Fortnite when it comes to cosmetics. Apex Legends has hit the ground running as the newest battle royale on the market. For a game that launched with no marketing whatsoever, it has now emerged as the first true competitor to Fortnite, pulling in over 50 million players in the first month. With all of the things Apex Legends does right, there is still one area where it falls behind and that’s in the cosmetics department. Fortnite updates its item shop daily with new emotes and cosmetics while players are still waiting on the first Battle Pass to drop for Apex Legends. Once the Battle Pass releases we’re sure to see the floodgates open on new cosmetics but until then we just have to be patient. This Reddit user took matters in their own hands and made a concept showing three new skins for the Wraith. https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/azskvo/did_some_wraith_skin_concepts/The concept, created by Reddit user -s0et-, shows off three outfits the Wraith could potentially have. In the first outfit, we see the Wraith with a hood on, then one with a black jacket and no hood and finally the third one showing what appears to be a shredded cloak of some sort. Since Apex Legends is a game more grounded in realism than Fortnite, we’re probably not going to get exotic skins like Fortnite’s Tomatohead, for example. This doesn’t mean Apex Legends is left out in the dust as this concept has shown the game could definitely make some sort of cool skins while still keeping with the theme.

  • Apex Legends Wraith Prestige skin glitch unlocks unreleased mythic cosmetic – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wraith Prestige skin glitch unlocks unreleased mythic cosmetic Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends glitch is allowing players to unlock the unreleased Wraith Prestige skin and equip it in-game. While characters and gunplay will always be the most important aspect of Apex Legends, cosmetics are absolutely essential as well. They allow players to customize their appearance in the Outlands and obtain rare skins that are only available for a limited amount of time. Out of all of these collectibles, none are more sought-after than the Prestige cosmetics which require 150 heirloom shards to unlock. These evolving skins are only available for Bangalore and Bloodhound so far, but thanks to a glitch, it appears some players have unlocked Wraith’s unreleased Prestige skin early in Season 15. Unreleased Wraith Prestige skin is being used in Apex Legends Courtesy of Twitter user Rafa05477884 and showcased by popular Apex Legends YouTuber Grrt, it appears a player has managed to unlock Wraith’s Prestige skin early. This mythic cosmetic has already been leaked and is rumored to be arriving in Season 15 according to leakers. However, there’s no way any player should have access to it just yet. Despite this, Rafa05477884 spotted an enemy player using the unreleased skin in Arenas. As showcased in the video, it’s unlikely to be a visual glitch as the opponent’s banner includes the skin and it also appears on the introductory screen ahead of the match. While it’s impossible to know how this player has access to the Prestige skin, some of the community have speculated they know a dev. However, this seems extremely unlikely, and it’s probably a glitch related to the Season 15 update, with Grrt speculating they may have forgotten to switch on the anti-cheat for certain cosmetics. Either way, let’s hope Respawn can fix this issue as soon as possible, as they do not want their unreleased skins being used ahead of their scheduled events.

  • Apex Legends Wraith portal glitch lets knocked players run around – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wraith portal glitch lets knocked players run around RespawnApex Legends players have uncovered a strange new glitch that allows them to get back on their feet from the revive animation, so long as they travel through Wraith’s portal. As one of the most popular characters in Apex Legends, Wraith can be found in pretty much every squad across World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. While she has come with her own problems in the past – including easy ways to recharge her ultimate ability – the newest issue has come in the form of her portal being used to help teammates get back to their feet while needing a revive. The eye-raising bug was showcased by Reddit user FlashZordon, who while playing as Gibraltar, just backed their way into a Wraith portal was sent across the map. Now, what is strange, is that they weren’t immediately back on their feet. Instead, the Gibraltar traveled through the portal as if they were still crawling around on the floor. Once they popped out the other side, they were then back on their feet and moving as the character’s usual speed. Though, they were still in need of a revive. Once their teammate did, however, start the revive process, the Gibraltar was dropped back down to the ground as if nothing had ever happened – causing the team to be left a little bemused by what had just happened. While some might think that it’s a one-off problem that you may never see again in Apex Legends, one other fan noted that they’d won a game because of it. Though, instead of needing the helping hand of a teammate, they were able to get off a self-revive. Obviously, if Respawn deems the problem to be something that gives players a leg up, they’ll have to figure out a fix for it. Though, whether or not that is the case, remains to be seen.

  • Apex Legends Wraith player’s portal mishap causes hilarious endgame moment – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wraith player’s portal mishap causes hilarious endgame moment Respawn EntertainmentWraith’s Dimensional Rift placement is everything. However, one Apex Legends player’s rift placement is way too high up for the small skirmisher to use again causing a funny endgame moment. One of Apex Legend’s most popular characters is Wraith, as she has managed to stay in the higher echelon of Legend pick rates since the game’s launch. It’s all for good reason, as Wraith’s abilities let her get in and out of combat with ease. Her ultimate ability, Dimensional Rift, is the cherry on top, as it allows her and her team to put together insane rotations or get out of a dangerous fight in an instant. However, there are some limits to her ultimate, such as how far it can go and how long it lasts. One Apex Legends player finds a new limit to her portal – it’s Wraith’s height. Apex Legends player places Wraith’s portal too high Good Wraith players are able to use the portal at the max range to get the most efficiency out of the ability. Of course, there are limits to that range including, as one player found out, height. In the clip shared to Reddit, two squads remain in the match, as a squad of three follows the trail of a Wraith portal to uncover the whereabouts of the last squad. Boasting full loadouts and everyone alive, the match is all but theirs to lose. Wraith’s portal is still active to make a hasty escape, but the player placed the portal too high. The winning team watches as the Wraith unsuccessfully tries to jump into her portal before taking her out. The interaction is unfortunate, but the added Mario jump sound effects make it all the better. “She could have wall jumped in tho maybe lol” one Reddit user commented, although wall jumping is a skill easier said than done. Note to all Wraith players, make sure to place your portal at your proper height. Apex Legends is deep in Season 18, with Season 19 rapidly approaching.

  • Apex Legends players want change made to Wraith’s Heirloom blade – Dexerto

Apex Legends players want change made to Wraith’s Heirloom blade Respawn Entertainment / SteamApex Legends players want to see a change made to Heirlooms, influenced by an iconic mission from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Heirlooms are the rarest cosmetic items in Apex Legends, and the only Heirloom set currently available in the game is for the Wraith. One of the items in that set is a melee weapon skin, which is a metal knife that’s shaped similarly to an arrowhead, but emits blue energy. Fans of both Apex Legends and Call of Duty have noticed that the melee weapon looks very much like the one used in the ‘Cliffhanger’ mission from Modern Warfare 2. In that mission, the player is able to hold their knife and pistol simultaneously, setting up for a pretty awesome look. The Wraith’s Heirloom melee emits blue electricity, similar to the way her portals look when they’re open. With this in mind, Reddit user ‘Deraged1337’ proposed that Respawn made an adjustment in-game that would allow the Wraith to hold their Heirloom melee and weapon the same way, assuming they’re using a pistol-type weapon like the Wingman. While this may not really end up having any effect on gameplay, it would give players another option with which to use their Heirloom, since there aren’t too many ways it can be used currently in the game. The post currently sits at over 14,300 upvotes on Reddit, so it’s safe to say that most players would probably like having the freedom to use their Heirloom melee this way. What are Heirlooms and how do you get them? There are only three Heirlooms currently in the game, all of which are only compatible with the Wraith. There are currently only three Heirlooms in Apex Legends, and they come as a single set that’s solely available for the Wraith. The set includes the melee weapon skin, a Banner Pose, and a Intro Quip. These items can only be unlocked by opening Apex Crates, but they are so rare that the chances of getting them are less than 1%. However, in order to make all of them at least reasonably possible to get, any Crate that’s set to contain an Heirloom will automatically award the player with all three.

  • Apex Legends finisher glitch shows why Wraith is “completely bugged” – Dexerto

Apex Legends finisher glitch shows why Wraith is “completely bugged” EAPlayers say a bizarre Wraith finisher glitch serves as proof that the Apex Legends character is “completely bugged.” Developer Respawn Entertainment unleashed Apex Legends Season 17 last week on May 9, most notably introducing players to a new character – Ballistic. The new season hasn’t been without its fair share of issues, however. Since the update’s release, users have identified problems related to the likes of Ranked Mode and the Firing Range. Apparently, some character-specific issues recently started rearing their heads, as well. Here’s to hoping a new Wraith bug doesn’t become too widespread. Apex Legends finisher glitch shows Wraith is “completely bugged” On the Apex subreddit, a user shared video evidence of a finishing move bug that impacts Wraith’s gameplay. The finisher’s cutscene plays out normally – the Legend punches their opponent a few times, opens a dimensional rift, then chucks them inside. But the problem is that the rift remains on screen even after the sequence ends. Worst still, the rift graphic seems attached to the player, meaning they can’t move without the visuals distorting. According to the original poster, firing off Tactical or Ultimate abilities didn’t get rid of the unfortunate glitch. The player had to instead close the game and boot it back up. This particular post led to other users pointing out the various problems plaguing Wraith this season. Wrote one Redditor, “Wraith is completely bugged lmao. Shooting while knocked, smuggling guns in Fight Night, visual glitches, poor kid.” “Wraith is the most broken character this season,” someone else remarked in the thread. Yet another person mentioned that her ongoing troubles have forced them to switch to Mirage for the time being. Interestingly, one longtime Apex Legends player said Wraith’s finisher error is an “old bug… I assumed it was fixed, but now [it’s] broken again.” There’s currently no word on if or when Respawn will resolve this problem or the others concerning Wraith.

  • Apex Legends Wraith buff idea adds powerful CoD Warzone perk to her abilities – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wraith buff idea adds powerful CoD Warzone perk to her abilities Respawn Entertainment / Infinity WardApex Legends players are always suggesting innovative improvements to their favorite characters, and this clever Wraith suggestion would bring in a fan-favorite Call of Duty perk. While some Apex Legends fans are figuring out how to conquer overpowered Legends, others like NICKMERCS are focused on improving ranked play. However, even some of the original Legends are still subject to debate and change. Wraith, included with the game at launch, can be a powerful Legend when used in the right hands – but has received some nerfs since her initial release. This includes a delay to her tactical phase ability, which Wraith mains wish was removed. But, this suggestion could enhance her abilities, by taking a page from Call of Duty’s playbook. Wraith’s passive could be so much better While Wraith’s Dimension Rift and Into The Void abilities are useful for tactically evading enemies, her passive ability Voices From The Void isn’t quite as essential. Prompting players with an audible cue that distant enemies are in taking aim, the ability does little else to improve any odds of survival. However, a suggestion from Apex YouTuber anapexbot could drastically level the playing field when it comes to visibility. https://twitter.com/anapexbot/status/1436787267817902082?s=20 High Alert became a quick hit with Modern Warfare players, allowing them to be aware of potential threats with a subtle visual aid. When an enemy is looking at you, your screen will be highlighted orange in the direction of the enemy. Combing Apex’s and CoD’s audio/visual aids together could be an incredible improvement to Wraith’s passive. Taking on step further, one fan suggested the visual element could be “just a flash it could be like some void particles.” This would be more in line with Apex lore, while still offering a fresh way to track foes on the battlefield. The devs behind Apex Legends are always responding to fan suggestions and ideas, so anything could happen in future seasons.

  • Apex Legends’ Wraith brought to life with chilling cosplay – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ Wraith brought to life with chilling cosplay This Apex Legends Wraith cosplayer knocks it out of the park with this perfect recreation of the fan-favorite character. The whole roster of characters in Apex Legends makes for excellent cosplaying opportunities thanks to their immaculate design and attention to detail by the devs. We’ve seen many people share their takes on the various characters with the most popular one being Wraith by far, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still be blown away by them. This latest one by Instagram user Vyxena perfectly captures the essence of Wraith right down to the colored contacts that turn her eyes all white, which is done by phasewalking in the game. Outside of that, she perfects the hairstyle of the character as well as the outfit. There’s even a nice touch of having the letters “RSPN” on the side, which is a nod to Respawn Entertainment, the developer of Apex Legends. It’s clear that the hard work she put into this cosplay paid off in a big way. https://www.instagram.com/p/B50DwBEnhqH/?igshid=m2jtrmua7m04 The only flaw with the cosplay as a whole is the purple arm pieces slid down during the shoot, but we imagine most people looking at the image won’t even notice unless it’s pointed out. Vyxenah says Wraith is the cosplay she most proud of, so it’s not going to be very surprising if we see more of them in the future. If you go through her Instagram, you can see her other cosplay work, including more Wraith images. There’s one post in particular that shows her once again dressed as Wraith but she’s posing with another cosplayer dressed as Lifeline, also from Apex Legends. https://www.instagram.com/p/B27tCBmHAGX/ Apex Legends isn’t the only game she cosplays characters from as just a quick glance at her Instagram reveals outfits from Dead by Daylight, Overwatch, and Horizon Zero Dawn just to name a few of them. We’re excited to see what she can cook up next, even if she sticks with her tried and true Wraith cosplay.

  • Apex Legends’ “worst gun” is even less popular than the Mozambique – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ “worst gun” is even less popular than the Mozambique Respawn EntertainmentAfter debating which weapon is the worst in the game, Apex Legends players have finally come to a consensus. Apex is home to nearly 30 different weapons. Ranging from the standard assault rifles and submachine guns, to shotguns and sniper rifles, every player has their own preference. The Apex community though, has come up with their number one offender when it comes to it being the worst gun, one that’s even less popular than the Mozambique: the P2020. Apex Legends community declares P2020 the “worst gun” In a thread by Reddit user FlatAd5285 on the official Apex subreddit, players discussed what they though was the “worst weapon” in the game. Some players suggested weapons like the EVA-8 and the Havoc as candidates. However, none were able to overcome consensus on the P2020 as the worst of them all. Just because players though it was the “worst” though, doesn’t mean it’s a terrible gun. Instead, players blasted it for being too “common” and not boasting anything to set it apart. The P2020 is often seen as a “lowest common denominator of sorts” that appears all the time, but isn’t really worth picking up. Fans of Apex have called for buffs to the Pistol many times, which devs somewhat answered with the Season 12 Defiance patch update. However, it seems like that wasn’t enough for Apex fans. Only time will tell if Respawn Entertainment will respond with more buffs in the future to get the gun out of the doghouse.

Apex Legends rocket finally roars to life on World’s Edge in Olympus teaser Respawn EntertainmentT-minus 10 to Olympus — the World’s Edge rocket has finally fired up its engine after lying dormant for most of last season, in the next Apex Legends Season 7 teaser to appear in-game ahead of the battle royale’s next huge update. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] Apex Legends players have spotted the latest in-game teaser ahead of the release of Season 7 — the World’s Edge rocket has finally fired up its engines, after nearly three months of lying dormant in the middle of the battle royale map. The rocket has yet to leave, but it’s now-firing thrusters are clearly visible. (via @iLootGames)pic.twitter.com/4g0xNa4G4y — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 26, 2020 The Hammond rocket, located in new Season 6 point of interest Launch Site, has been part of the scenery for months. It certainly seemed important — especially when it featured in an early Rampart teaser — but players weren’t sure why. Now everything seems clear; the Hammond rocket may well be taking Apex Legends to its long-awaited third battle royale map, which Respawn officially unveiled on Oct. 26. The new map, which Dexerto tipped all the way back in Season 5, has been mentioned and name-dropped in multiple Apex Legends teasers over the past few months. It’s arrival ended up being delayed slightly, but now it’s finally on its way. Read more: Apex Legends Season 7 new mystery gun leaked – Or rather, it looks like we’re on our way to it. The end of Season 6 — Wednesday, Nov. 4, for the record — should see us finally board the now-prepared Hammond rocket, and fling us all the way to the third Apex Legends map, Olympus. The rocket rumbling to life isn’t the only Olympus teaser we’ve seen land on World’s Edge in the buildup to the season switch either. Last week, a mysterious UFO began floating on the outskirts on the map. Sadly, you can’t board the huge structure just yet. For now, it’s a waiting game. We’ll see the new Olympus map arrive next week, along with vehicles, the next Apex Legends character “Horizon,” a long-awaited clubs feature, and much more, but we’ve got just a little more waiting to do first!

  • World’s Edge map changes in Apex Legends Season 17 revealed – Dexerto

World’s Edge map changes in Apex Legends Season 17 revealed Respawn EntertainmentWorld’s Edge in Apex Legends will undergo a makeover in Season 17, with new POIs, a brand new Apex Games Museum, changes to lighting and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the World’s Edge map update. The story for the update is that World’s Edge map is finally healing and cooling down. Several new “disruptive” changes are being made to improve the overall map health. Some of these new changes include POIs, better traversal, higher chances of high-tier loot, and a lot more. That said, here’s a rundown of all the new World’s Edge changes in Apex Legends Season 17. All World’s Edge changes in Apex Legends Season 17 Fragment boasts a new identity, now called ‘Monument’. The ever-popular hotdrop location has now been replaced by the Apex Games Museum. This new POI has a deep underground area, with quick access to sniper nests via ziplines. It’s entirely covered with a glass ceiling, meaning players can see in below from the top. The museum shows off the history of Legends and the games. Map updates The Museum charts the history of the Games, from Thunderdome to Apex, a section dedicated to the original legends. Lava City has been replaced by a new zone called Stacks, where the construction building has been relocated. There’s also a new vault near Skyhook and chances of finding Vault keys are much higher than before. Trials have also gone through some revisions with the new season. All lava is also now traversable by foot. There are also slight changes to the Harvester location along with a new center loot zone with high-quality loot. Respawn also explain, “with additional Climatizers added, there’s new snow banks, less volcanic smoke and clearer visibility.” Additionally, Mirage à trois is being removed from Storm Point and Broken Moon and will only be a permanent feature on World’s Edge. The map’s lighting and sky are also tweaked to some extent. With Season 17’s arrival, you could also see a snowclad Skyhook.

  • Apex Legends: World record for Trio kills on PC finally broken – Dexerto

Apex Legends: World record for Trio kills on PC finally broken RespawnThe world record for most kills by a Trio in Apex Legends on PC has been broken with one team racking up an eye-watering 48 eliminations. Since the release of Apex Legends back on February 4, players across the world have been hard at work trying to secure bragging rights through a number of world records in Respawn Entertainment’s title. Some players made that test incredibly hard by taking on a session of trios all by themselves. That record stands at 36 and is held by Mendokusaii. Yet, the challenge gets a little easier when a full squad is taking on the lobby and can spread the kills equally. That happened on May 24, as Reddit user nOOkexe posted their claim to the throne with a 48 kill game. While the squad didn’t have any particular highlight plays to show off, they at least captured their winning screen that backed up how many kills they had. It was a fairly even split between the trio – with Gnaske_Lone_TTV racking up 14 kills, ya_em_detei_lol picking up 16 and nOOOK leading the way with 18. All in all, the 48 kills surpasses the former world record of 46 held by tevDesertuk, Fyzu, and Wrugb – which had stood since the end of March. After picking up the new record, compliments immediately flooded in from the Apex Legends subreddit for the trio. One user posted: “People don’t appreciate the high kills like this in Apex theres only 60 PEOPLE! these guys cleared 80% of the lobby on a smaller map than other BRs and faster pace than other BRs. G fucking G guys.” However, not everyone was happy to see that they’d broken the world record. One Redditor, going under the username ChocolateMorsels, commented: “They let people respawn and farm them so…meh. If they didn’t do that here then awesome but I’m assuming they did.” Regardless of how the record was achieved, the trio clearly broke the long-standing number and did while streaming live on Twitch to an audience of viewers. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Apex Legends pros – It remains to be seen just how long their record will stand for but considering just how hard it may be to break the pretty lofty number, it’s going to take something special to knock them off the top.

  • Apex Legends working on streamer mode & “significant changes” in Season 6 – Dexerto

Apex Legends working on streamer mode & “significant changes” in Season 6 Respawn/EA[jwplayer J4j9SlSw]Apex Legends developer Josh Medina has said “significant changes” are coming in Season 6 as well as confirming they’re working on an “improved streamer mode” to help out content creators. With Apex Legends’ fifth season winding down, fans of the battle royale title have been speculating about what is coming next when season six finally gets underway. There are plenty of rumors about a new character – mainly, Rampart – and even the possibility of a brand new map to explore. Though Respawn and the Apex team have remained pretty tight-lipped on what is coming next, fans have been trying to find clues – in or out of the game. After quizzing a number of developers to try and drop a few hints, Josh Medina, a producer at Respawn, has hinted at big changes. Responding to SoaR’s Kobi, an Apex Legends streamer, Medina promised that “stuff is coming” for the ‘dog days of summer’ before expanding on his one-sentence answer with a few more hints for season six. “Hopefully the stuff that’s coming helps motivate, cause there is gonna be some significant changes that should shake things up,” the Respawn dev tweeted, noting that streamers should finally get their long sought after streamer mode in the future as well. “And yes, an improved streamer mode is on Josh’s list of stuff to push to the team but we got hands full with season 6 and 7.” Hopefully the stuff that’s coming helps motivate cause there is gonna be some significant changes that should shake things up.. And yes a improved streamer mode is on joshs list of stuff to push to the team but we got hands full with season 6 and 7 🥺 — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) July 17, 2020 Currently, streamer mode will block out the names on other players, replacing them with generic names like Bangalore2050. Some streamers have asked that it extends to blocking your own name from view to others as well, to prevent stream sniping. While the streamer mode is pretty self-explanatory – streamers should be able to hide their names to avoid stream sniping – the “significant changes” hint is little more up in the air. That could easily be new mechanics, sweeping changes to the roster of Legends, or a new map that really blows everyone away. A new map has been heavily hinted at by Respawn themselves. However, fans will just have to keep an eye on what the devs tease closer to the start of season six.

  • Apex Legends working on new Legend that will be useless in Arenas – Dexerto

Apex Legends working on new Legend that will be useless in Arenas Respawn EntertainmentA Respawn Entertainment developer has revealed that they are working on a new Legend set to release in 2023, whose abilities will not apply to Arenas at all – but that they are purely balancing for the battle royale mode. Apex Legends is now into its second year, and has more post-launch Legends than original characters as of Season 9, with the addition of Valkyrie taking the total roster to 17. But, despite the quickly expanding group of playable characters, the developers are not slowing down anytime soon, and are instead continuing with their current pattern of releasing a new Legend every season (roughly every three months). This causes a dilemma though, as they are now creating characters for more than just a battle royale mode – as the new Arenas mode has become very popular. Balancing for Arenas? With plans for a Ranked Arenas mode too, it begs the question of whether characters will be created and balanced with Arenas in mind. Lead designer Daniel Klein has responded to this very question, and teased a new character in the process. Speaking to YouTuber Raynday, Klein explained that this Legend has “some really really cool abilities, that will just not apply to Arenas gameplay at all. “And that’s fine –we’re absolutely ok with that. As long as there is something they can do in Arenas, we know we can balance for that something, and the BR must be our main mode, the one we spend the most time thinking about and designing for.” “We have to design for the BR,” Klein continued, “and that is not changing.” It means that other Legends, such as Lifeline, who are very powerful in Arenas, but less so in battle royale, may even get buffs to make them stronger, making their Arenas performance even better. It could also lead to some very overpowered or underpowered characters in Arenas, while the battle royale is much more balanced. Regardless, Respawn has made clear that the battle royale will remain their top priority, as it is the mode that has “proven itself” the most, and is responsible for attracting the millions of players that come back to apex every season.

  • Apex Legends won’t add more ‘big’ legends like Caustic & Gibraltar for one key reason – Dexerto

Apex Legends won’t add more ‘big’ legends like Caustic & Gibraltar for one key reason Respawn/EAApex Legends dev Daniel Z Klein has explained why Respawn Entertainment haven’t added another Gibraltar-like big sized legend to their battle royale, and probably won’t moving forward. One of the biggest things that sets Apex Legends apart from its battle royale rivals is the fact that you are able to choose a character with unique abilities rather than just dropping in, finding loot, and trying to survive. As the seasons have gone on, some legends have gotten stronger than others thanks to regular buffs and nerfs, but there hasn’t been a big legend like Caustic or Gibraltar added since the start of the game. Octane, Horizon, Crypto, Revenant, Wattson, and Rampart are all somewhat similar in stature. Some players might want bigger legends, but that’s unlikely to happen as we move forward into future seasons. Daniel Z Klein, the lead game designer at Respawn Entertainment, fielded a number of questions about Season 8 on the Apex Legends subreddit when the topic of hitboxes came up. Some players would rather every character have the same hitbox, and while that is probably preferable in terms of gameplay, Klein explained that it probably won’t be the case. “Listen. If we were developing Apex today, I’d be like “EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME SET OF HITBOXES, MAKE IT WORK”. Unfortunately, that’s not the world we live in. You may have noticed we haven’t shipped another legend on a large hitbox; there’s a reason for that,” he commented. “Unless we find a way to shrink Gibby and Caustic visually in a way that’s not super derpy without having to redo all their skins and animations (and probably do the same for our tiny legends), I don’t see us realistically moving to the same hitboxes for everyone, as preferable as that would be.” Comment byu/flawzies from discussion inapexlegends Obviously, some fans will likely still want to see bigger legends, as well as a one size fits all hitbox, but that’s just not going to be the case anytime soon. A lack of additionally bigger legends will only help Caustic and Gibraltar stand out from the crowd, figuratively and literally, but it also probably means they’ll get some love when it comes to buffs in the future.

Crypto Legendary Skin Crypto’s Wintertide 2022 skin gives the hacker a sleek set of blue and gold armor. Complete with his Korean Tech Blade heirloom, the skin almost gives Crypto the appearance of an ancient warrior. Horizon and Mirage Additionally, fans were able to catch a brief glimpse of new skins for both Horizon and Mirage during the Wintertide Collection event trailer released on the Apex Legends YouTube channel. However, it’s unclear if these will be Legendary skins or not. • Apex Legends will fix Arenas map exploit on Phase Runner – Dexerto

Apex Legends will fix Arenas map exploit on Phase Runner Respawn/EAThe Apex Legends devs have fixed an issue where players were able to get out of the map in certain Arenas maps, that pretty much guaranteed them a free win. Update May 11 Respawn made a quick turnaround for the bug that let people bug into a rock on Phase Runner. They fixed the area that “lacked collision detection,” so we shouldn’t see it happen again. In the Apex Legends 1.67 patch update, the studio had a message for people that were abusing the temporary exploit: “no more hiding inside ghost rocks.” Original story follow below With the start of Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, Respawn Entertainment introduced a whole new way to play the battle royale title – a 3v3 Arenas mode. The highly-anticipated off-shoot mode puts players into smaller versions of the game’s maps, allowing them to buy weapons and control the economy like in Counter-Strike. Arenas has already proven to be pretty popular with players, and a Ranked version is seemingly in the works. However, just like in the main battle royale version of Apex, players have uncovered plenty of exploits. The biggest of which comes in the form of being able to get outside of the map. Just like on Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus, players are able to jump into small holes and exploit new pieces of cover. In certain spots, you can’t even shoot them, leaving you vulnerable and helpless to prevent the loss of a point. Apex Legends Redditor TiiGerTekZZ flagged the Phase Runner map as having one of these spots, and got a response from Respawn. “I’ll make sure to send this to the team. ty for the find & video,” said Respawn’s Oscar ‘xajai’ Aguirre. As Respawn have shown in the past, if players are able to find out-of-bound exploits, they’ll quickly knit them up and get rid of it – just so future games aren’t ruined. It remains to be seen as to how quickly they’ll get around to addressing this one, but at least it’s on their radar.

  • Apex Legends: Who will be the next Legend? Crypto, Rosie and Nomad Leaks – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Who will be the next Legend? Crypto, Rosie and Nomad Leaks Since the Iron Crown update for Apex Legends, data miners have had a field day digging through the updated game files, uncovering all abilities for three unreleased legends: Crypto, Rosie, and Nomad – but who will be added to the game first? Wattson was the latest character to arrive in Kings Canyon, at the launch of Season 2, succeeding Season 1’s Octane, and so history would suggest a new Legend will arrive for Season 3. The trailer for Season 2 itself teased a new character that wasn’t Wattson however, showing a hacker who is believed to be Crypto, but developers Respawn have been quiet since. Who’s the next Legend coming to Kings Canyon? According to data miner That1MiningGuy, a reputable leaker responsible for finding the legend abilities in the game files, Crypto is by far the most ‘complete’ character. Combined with the fact he was already teased in the Season 2 trailer, it does seem likely that Crypto is next up, but is it possible Respawn will release two legends for Season 3 in October? On August 1, lead developer Tina Sanchez posted images from a motion capture session, and it is believed it could indicate that the mo-cap was for Rosie. Working on Apex Legends stuff :lovestruck:@jitterbot @_moyparra pic.twitter.com/CeGxxqvldR — Tina Sanchez (@Teanah) August 1, 2019 The final and most mysterious legend we know the abilities for is Nomad. Like Rosie and Crypto, Nomad was first found in the game files back when Apex Legends launched. After the Iron Crown update, all of Nomad’s abilities were discovered alongside Rosie and Crypto, meaning his development is progressing along too. All abilities for Crypto, Rosie and Nomad Crypto Check out everything we know about Crypto here, expected to be the next legend to compete in Kings Canyon. Tactical: Aerial Drone – Surveillance camera drone, lasts for 40 seconds, 200 meter range. Can be destroyed. Can hack doors, loot bins and pick up banners with drone. – Passive: Neuro Link – Crypto and teammates see what surveillance drone detect up to 30 meters away. – Ultimate: Weapon Drone EMP – Charge up an EMP blast from your drone. Deals shield damage, slows enemies and disables all traps. – Rosie Check out everything we know about Rosie here, including her lore and backstory. Eye for quality: Loba (Rosie) can see through walls and can open up hidden compartments in loot bins. – Supply for demand: Hold (button) to choose a type of loot. Reveal that type of loot in the area through walls. – Burglar’s best friend: Throw a disc and teleport to that location. – Black Market Boutique: Place a device that can steal all nearby loot. – Nomad Apex Legends dev faces backlash following update to Iron Crown monetizationWith Season 3 expected to launch in October, it’s expected that at least Crypto will be added, but if Rosie’s development is coming along too, perhaps we will see two added at once for the first time. Nomad seems to be further off, and it’s unlikely all three will be added at the same time or close to each other, so Nomad could potentially be set for Season 4 or later.

  • Apex Legends: Who is Nomad? Everything we know about unreleased character – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Who is Nomad? Everything we know about unreleased character Apex Legends looks set to add brand new legend to kick off Season 3 and while a number of options leaked already, let’s take a look at everything we know about the mysterious Nomad character. The other possibilities are Crypto and Rosie. The former was spotted in the Season 2 trailer, meaning he’s most likely – see everything we know about Crypto here. Rosie also has potential and we already have some idea of her lore and abilities too, but Nomad is an even more mysterious and intriguing character. Who is Nomad? Of all three of the leaked characters, we know the least about Nomad’s lore and backstory. The first hints we had about Nomad “technology” were highlighted on various other skins added to Apex Legends. This Reddit post from u/FrozenFroh points out the links between various Apex Legends skins and the unreleased Nomad legend. What are Nomad’s abilities? We know all of Nomad’s abilities way ahead of schedule, thanks to leaker That1MiningGuy. Given that the character is still in development, some of these could be subject to change. Passive: Packmule – “Nomad and his teammates have additional backpack space.” – Tactical: Loot Compass – “Follow the loot compass to the nearest item.” – Ultimate: Crafting Table – Place a crafting table down. Scrap salvageable material and purchase items.” – When will Nomad be added to Apex Legends? Since Crypto was teased in the Season 2: Battle Charge trailer, it seems most likely that he will be the third new legend added to Kings Cayon. Rosie is said to be tied-in to Crypto’s lore, too, meaning that it would perhaps make chronological sense if she is added next, after Crypto. Nomad is still a mystery, but game files relating to the character have been found from as far back as Apex Legends’ launch in February. Season 3 is expected to launch in October, and then Season 4 presumably early 2020. So far, Respawn has only added one new legend each season, and if they continue this, then it could be a considerable wait before we see Nomad. However, it’s possible the developers start releasing legends more frequently, after all, they have been criticized for a lack of new content.

  • Apex Legends: Where to find all hidden Nessies in Season 17 Firing Range – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Where to find all hidden Nessies in Season 17 Firing Range Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ new and improved Firing Range in Season 17 offers players the chance to find a bunch of Easter Eggs in the form of hidden Nessies. Here’s how to find all the plushies around the map. Apex Legends’ Season 17 update is finally here, bringing with it a ton of new gameplay updates and additions to the battle royale. One of the biggest changes comes in the form of the game’s Firing Range, which received a brand new map with a tons of features added to help players train before diving into a match. On top of the new map features, developer Respawn Entertainment also added new Easter Eggs for players to find in the form of hidden Nessies scattered around the Firing Range. Here’s how players can locate all of the secret plushies scattered across the map. All Apex Legends Season 17 hidden Nessie locations Green Nessie #1 The first Green Nessie that players can find is the one closest to spawn. To find it, exit the center spawn room and enter the left Spawn room. The Green Nessie is sitting behind and crate on the left side of the entrance. Players can collect these Nessie plushies in their inventory by pressing the ‘Interact’ button on them. A small squeaking sound will play, letting you know you have collected it. Green Nessie #2 The next Green Nessie players can find is right at the bottom of the weapon range. To find it, locate the Red weapons and check the front of the weapons rack to find the plushie. Green Nessie #3 The next Green Nessie really ramps up this fun game of hide-and-seek. To find Nessie #3, head to the 1v1 pit on the left side of the map. Behind the pit is a cliffside leading into the ocean at the end of the map. On a ledge beneath it, players should find a Green Nessie alongside five mini-Wattson dolls. Green Nessie #4 The fourth Green Nessie is located near the large tower in the center of the map. Head to the building behind the tower and look underneath the staircase in the dirt on the backside of the building to collect it. Green Nessie #5 Green Nessie number five is located at the very top of the tower near the building you just stopped at. This Nessie will likely require a Legend like Horizon, Pathfinder, or Valkyrie as the zipline will only take you so high. Find the Nessie sitting next to a folding chair and collect it. Green Nessie #6 The next Green Nessie is sitting inside the drop ship perched on the helipad a ways behind the large tower. Simply go over to the drop ship to find it perched on a shelf next to the weapons box. Green Nessie #7 The seventh Green Nessie may be the trickiest for players to collect. It is located on a branch high up in the middle evergreen tree on the right side of the map. The easiest way to collect it is to use Valkyrie’s jetpack to hover up to it and then spam the interact button to successfully collect it. Green Nessie #8 The next Green Nessie plush will require the use of a tool introduced in Season 17. First, collect an Evac Tower from one of the weapon boxes around the map. Deploy it on the cliff on the right side of the map next to the tree you just collected Nessie #7 from. Use the Evac Tower to fly over to the island and head to the back of it. Here, you should find the eighth Nessie nestled against a couple of trash bags. Green Nessie #9 The ninth Green Nessie is found somewhat close to spawn. After leaving the previously mentioned island, turn left and head towards the left side of the Firing Range compound. The Nessie plush is tucked into a corner on a ledge. Again, players may have to use a Legend like Valkyrie and Pathfinder to find this plushie. Green Nessie #10 The final Green Nessie plush is located in the Southern edge of the Firing Range. To find it, head towards the mountainous area next to the giant cannon. Climb the mountain and, once you reach the top, the last plushie will be sitting on top of a weapons box. Special Nessies There are also a handful of special Nessie plushies that come in different colors. These Nessies require players to complete certain hidden challenges throughout the Firing Range. Pink Nessie To collect the Pink Nessie, players need to earn 100 kills in the Firing Range. This will take some time, but players can speed up the process by collecting a Throwing Knife and hitting headshots on the training dummies around the map. Once done, the Pink Nessie will spawn on the railing that houses the zipline leading to the top of the central tower. Blue Nessie Respawn’s Gameplay Programmer Ian Holstead confirmed on Twitter that there is a Blue Nessie hidden somewhere in the Firing Range, though the community has yet to find it at the time of writing. We will update this guide whenever more hidden Nessies are found! Golden Nessie There is also a Golden Nessie that players can find, though the method to get it to spawn is still unconfirmed. Players have tried using the Charge Tower and earning 40,000 damage, but upon testing these methods ourselves, the Golden Nessie did not spawn. However, players should check the back right wall of the center spawn room behind the large crate, as this is where the Golden Nessie is supposed to spawn whenever its challenge is completed. We will update this guide whenever more hidden Nessies are found! And there you have it! That’s all the currently known locations for the hidden Nessies scattered around the Apex Legends Firing Range in Season 17. • When is the next Apex Legends character being released? Wattson rumors, insider hints and more – Dexerto

When is the next Apex Legends character being released? Wattson rumors, insider hints and more Respawn Entertainment were fast to release Apex Legends, introduce new skins and even launch the Season 1 Battle Pass very quickly after the title’s release, but fans can’t resist getting a step ahead to find out more information about upcoming additions to the game’s roster. Leaked information isn’t always the most accurate, but there’s no doubt that players have rallied around rumors of a new legend – Wattson – being added to the popular battle royale title. While information on what could be the latest arrival is quite scarce, there are some really interesting details that have been revealed by data miners so far, with enough for some people to suggest that this character is certainly going to pop up in Kings Canyon. Who is Wattson? Apex Legends already has a stacked roster of playable characters with deep backstories and strong personalities. Fans will be hoping Wattson will fit into the same bracket, with some unique traits and abilities that set them apart from the rest. Read More: How to drop faster in Apex Legends – In terms of specific information, as mentioned earlier, information is relatively scarce at this stage. However, there have been some leaked images of what Wattson could potentially look like and some hints that electricity could be one of their main powers. For example, the image above shows a huge lightning bolt symbol on the jacket, and that’s not all… What are Wattson’s abilities? It’s looking incredibly likely that Wattson will have some sort of electrical power or will have abilities that use electric to the character’s advantage. At first, it was just the jacket that was a hint, but since then there has been new leaked information that suggests they will have an electrical trap at their disposal. What could be possibly the first look at the ‘Tesla Trap’ has been revealed by data miners, as seen below, and will be paired up with a Tesla Coil ability – if leaked information surrounding the names are to be believed. The coil could function, presumably, in a similar way to that of the Toxic Trapper, used by Caustic. There’s also been another leak, from @ApexLeaksNews on Twitter, which suggests that the legend may have wield an electric fence mechanism. “You’ll be able to link 2 fence posts and create an electric fence that only Wattson can climb,” the account tweeted on April 8. Whether or not these abilities will be a feature of the Wattson character when it’s officially unveiled remains to be seen. Do we know much more about Wattson? Considering the character is still yet to be released, and potentially still under development, fans of Apex Legends have already got quite a bit of information about the new legend to sink their teeth into. Data miners have also revealed that Wattson’s callouts may have already been added to the game, ahead of its apparent upcoming release. Popular streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has even dropped some hints of his own – but he isn’t all too confident that the new character is going to be as ‘sick’ as some fans might expect. Read More: CS:GO pro didn’t namedrop ‘Wattson’, he was pushed by fans to give up what information he knew. Some even went as far as trying to get him to utter the word ‘electric’ but he wasn’t buying it – even though it’s the only upcoming Legend we have any real information on. We might not have specific details about definite aesthetics or finishing moves at the time of writing, but seeing more of the character’s name pop up in data files is encouraging to see. When is Wattson coming to Apex Legends? Wattson doesn’t have an official release date, as it’s still a project under development, but we do have a reference point that could indicate the timeframe of its arrival – Octane. Octane was added to Apex Legends to celebrate the launch of the Season 1 Battle Pass and there’s a good chance that Respawn could hold off on the release of Wattson, in order to spruce up their upcoming season. Season 2 is expected to start sometime in June but it might not be the start of the month release date that fans may have been hoping for. Respawn are attending E3, which kicks off on June 7, and showing off what they have for Season 2 there. • Apex Legends: What are secret Heirlooms and how can you get them? – Dexerto

Apex Legends: What are secret Heirlooms and how can you get them? Players have been coming across a hidden line of cosmetic items called Heirlooms in Apex Legends battle royale, the secret nature of which has caused some confusion in the community. As with most other battle royale titles, Apex Legends features cosmetic items whose values depend on their rarity, with Common being the least rare, followed by Rare, Epic, and Legendary. However, there is also a hidden fifth level rarity cosmetics called Heirlooms, which are more rare than any other items and are extremely difficult to obtain. Most players are not even aware of the Heirlooms’ existence in the game because there simply is no mention of it anywhere. The only way players can actually see it mentioned in the store or inventory is if they manage to acquire one. Currently, the only way to get Heirlooms is to luckily come across one when opening Apex Packs, but the chances of that are less than 1%, according to the official Apex Legends FAQ. However, Respawn Entertainment and EA have sort of balanced this out by guaranteeing at least one Heirloom in a player’s first 500 Packs, much like how everyone is guaranteed at least one Legendary in their first 30 Packs. Also, another positive is that Heirlooms come in sets, and players who manage to get one in a Pack will get all three items of the set at the same time. There is currently one Heirloom set in the game and it’s for the Wraith Legends character. The set features a cosmetic skin for her melee knife, a Banner Pose, and a themed Intro Quip. Heirlooms have been designated the crimson red color to represent their rarity, so if you see that color flash when opening up Packs you’ll know you’ve gotten the most rare cosmetics in the game.

  • Apex Legends: What happens when 30 Bangalores use their Ultimate at once? – Dexerto

Apex Legends: What happens when 30 Bangalores use their Ultimate at once? RespawnApex Legends streamer its_WiKeD decided to find out what would happen if 30 Bangalores threw their ultimate abilities at once, leading to a hilarious server crash. Bangalore is one of Apex Legends’ most popular characters, having been in the game since its release back in February. She is an aggressive legend with a tactical ability of ‘Smoke Launcher’ and passive of ‘Double Time’, meaning she runs slightly faster while taking fire. However, her ultimate ability is one of Apex’s most offensively powerful, known as Rolling Thunder. After throwing a projectile beacon, a devastating airstrike is triggered, causing significant damage to enemy players caught up in it. However, one curious streamer, ‘its_WiKeD’, decided the Rolling Thunder would be perfect for a scientific experiment. With 30 Bangalores gathered at Bunker in King’s Canyon, he instructs them to all throw their ultimate abilities at once. At first, the experiment resembles something of a fireworks display, with countless of the flared projectiles being thrown. The carnage then begins as the airstrikes following, with hundreds of missiles flying down simultaneously. This is apparently too much for the Apex engine to handle, as the server quickly abandons its efforts to deal with the carnage and kicks all players. The server freezes and then altogether crashes, seeing WiKeD and his minions sent back to the lobby. One Reddit user explained that they were one of the Bangalores, and received a hilarious error message that stated there was over “8192 potentially visible objects”, before their game crashed. While Bangalore’s ability is one of the strongest in Apex Legends, it seems it can also be used for fun, and what Lannan ‘Lazarbeam’ Eacott would term “dumb shit science”. Apex Legends is currently in its second season with a third season expected in October 2019.

  • Apex Legends weapons in dual-wield mode looks insanely fun – Dexerto

Apex Legends weapons in dual-wield mode looks insanely fun Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends mod on the R5Reloaded server has added duel wielding to the game and it’s absolutely lethal at close-quarters. When it comes to FPS titles, the primary focus will always be the weapons and while some players are satisfied with wielding one, the majority prefer the option to hold two. Although the ability to use akimbo weaponry is available in countless shooter titles, Apex Legends is yet to add it to the game, and it likely never will. However, thanks to a set of modders, that’s doesn’t mean the community can’t test out the theory in-game, and it’s fair to say it looks like a lot of fun. Apex Legends mod adds ability to use akimbo guns R5Reloaded and the modders that are part of it never seem to disappoint when it comes to adding exciting and often wacky features to Apex Legends. Whether it’s CSGO surfing or Fortnite building mechanics, there are seemingly endless possibilities when it comes to creativity on the server. Now, the ability to dual wield weaponry has been added, and it looks unbelievably fun as well as incredibly broken at close range. Equipped with an R99 and an R301, YouTuber Skeptation shows how powerful the guns are when they’re combined together. While the hip-fire accuracy of both weapons certainly isn’t pinpoint, it’d be perfect for an aggressive Octane or Wraith. Although the akimbo mod doesn’t look balanced and will likely never be a feature in the main game, it does look fun to run around spraying down opponents. Two ARs may be powerful, but the ability to use two shotguns at close range would end every gunfight in an instant. Similar to the Smart Pistol, this isn’t likely to be a feature the community wants to see added in a future season, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be enjoyed in R5Reloaded.

  • Major Apex Legends weapon pick-up bug is leaving players defenseless – Dexerto

Major Apex Legends weapon pick-up bug is leaving players defenseless Respawn EntertainmentA strange glitch in Apex Legends is preventing players from picking up weapons that spawn in Supply Bins, and there might not be an easy solution to solve it. There’s no doubt that the community largely love Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale but a lot of people can sometimes be left with a sour taste in their mouth while playing due to various bugs that tend to make an appearance. Since its February 4 launch, Apex Legends has been marred with bugs in the game’s core mechanics, glitches concerning different Legends or their abilities, and even more troubling are problems with its connection to players. In a Reddit post, user ‘tlawless001’ highlighted a strange situation in which they had priority on a couple of Supply Bins. But they came up empty handed for a weapon, while a trailing Octane managed to find a gun where there initially wasn’t one. “Respawn, please fix this,” the user said. “I can’t count how many times I’ve died because I ‘pick up’ a gun only for it to reappear in the box for an enemy to grab.” Other people started chiming in, saying that they encountered something similar to what the clip was showing. “I hate this,” user ‘tyh200’ said. “You hear the noise of the gun being equipped and everything. Very confusing when the gun disappears from your hands and you can’t shoot the person next to you.” While players would obviously appreciate a permanent fix to the problem, it seems like the answer might not be as straightforward as some would hope. Popular belief is that this has to do with the game’s lag compensation which gives players of different internet quality a chance to compete with each other. “You’re asking them to drop the lag compensation,” user ‘iseetrolledpeople’ said. “Making the game unplayable for those with s**t internet. It won’t happen and it kills me knowing that having a good internet hinders you in modern FPS games.” There’s been a ton of problems with Apex Legends netcode which could be the source for these kind of issues. It seems like the glitch has affected a lot of players throughout the game’s lifespan, so it’ll be interesting to see how Respawn patch the problem to finally resolve the issue.

  • Apex Legends Weapon Mastery system explained: Rewards, trials and more – Dexerto

Apex Legends Weapon Mastery system explained: Rewards, trials and more Respawn/EASeason 17 of Apex Legends will feature a new Weapon Mastery system for the first time in the game’s history. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, and what rewards you can earn. Along with a new Legend, Ballistic, Season 17 will also introduce a new weapon mastery system. Being a new long-term progression system in Apex, it won’t reset every season. Instead, it will remain forever throughout your time playing, so you can work to level up every weapon to the max. Doing so will also earn you some rewards throughout the grind, including a legendary skin for the weapon at max level. Here’s a complete rundown of the new weapon mastery system added in Apex Legends Season 17. How does weapon mastery work in Apex Legends? First, the new weapon mastery system in Apex Legends will be long-term and won’t reset each season. It’s a whole new progression system where all players start at level 1 on every weapon in Season 17. When you inflict damage, get kills, knocks, headshots, and “fight with style” (as Respawn puts it), using a particular weapon, you will progress the weapon through the ranks. The XP can only be earned in public matches and not in the firing range. Each weapon has 100 levels total, and every 20 levels, there will be a ‘trial’. You get a reward after completing each of these five trials. Weapon mastery rewards in Apex Legends The rewards from the new mastery system include: A guaranteed Legendary skin for each weapon via a Legendary Apex Weapon Pack when you finally master it or upon reaching level 100. – Banner frames – Performance trackers – Weapon-specific mastery level badges – If all skins are already obtained, you are provided with equivalent crafting materials in return. What are weapon trials in Apex? Weapon trials are specific challenges you must complete with each weapon for a reward. You unlock a trial at each 20 levels of the mastery progress. Some examples of trials include: Down an enemy from 25 meters away while ADS. – Get 3 kills with the weapon while level 3 magazine is equipped in one match. – Final trial for Kraber is to land a 360 no scope – How long will it take to master weapons? The target time to complete each mastery should be somewhere between 80 – 120 hours. It ultimately depends on how efficient and skilled you are at the game as the trials are very skill dependent. So, there you have it — that’s how the new weapon mastery system will work in Apex Legends. • Apex Legends weapon buffs & nerfs in Season 18: Disruptor Rounds, SMG nerf, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends weapon buffs & nerfs in Season 18: Disruptor Rounds, SMG nerf, more Respawn EntertainmentSeason 18 of Apex Legends releases with a new wave of weapon buffs and nerfs coming to the game, and the reintroduction of the controversial Disruptor Rounds hop-up. Respawn Entertainment is once again returning with new changes for Apex Legends for a new season landing on August 8, 2023. The update will look to refine the weapon balancing as the developers try to achieve an enjoyable and balanced meta for the game. The aim after every update is to make overpowered weapons less powerful and underperforming guns more powerful, and with this update there is a heavy nerf on all SMGs. Other major changes include the Prowler moving to Care Package loot and the reintroduction of the previously overpowered Disruptor Rounds from Season 2. Here is the full breakdown of all the tweaks and changes coming to Season 18 regarding weapons. Season 18 weapon buffs & nerfs Care Package rotation The Prowler is now exclusively found in Care Package loot returning with select fire to shoot either a burst or fully automatic. The Hemlok returns back to floor loot, but will receive a damage recoil buff that improves it over its previous non-care package version. Disruptor Rounds Disruptor Rounds return from season 2 and are equipped as a hop-up attachment with the Alternator SMG and Peacekeeper shotgun. These controversial rounds were seen as being too overpowered in previous seasons with their enhanced shield damage proving useful in the middle to endgame. Crafting rotations Returning to floor loot: Rampage LMG – R-99 SMG – Returning to crafting: Nemesis burst AR – Mozambique shotgun with enhanced Hammerpoint Rounds – Buffs Replacing the Prowler, the Hemlock burst AR is the only buff we know about so far as it returns back to floor loot along with a damage increase and recoil buff compared to the Care Package version. Respawn is also pleased with the popular Nemesis AR in its current build, and so no changes are planned due to it rivaling well against the R-301 and Flatine ARs. Nerfs SMGs The biggest change of the nerfs comes from all the SMGs being hit with the following: Strafe speed reduced – Headshot multiplier reduced – R-99 SMG With the R-99 SMG being nerfed even further: Ammo magazine size reduced – Vertical recoil increased – Mastiff Shotgun The shotgun blast pattern has been tightened to gain more consistency in shooting instead of a more widespread spray. • Apex Legends weapon buffs & nerfs in Season 13: Kraber Nerf, LMG nerfs, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends weapon buffs & nerfs in Season 13: Kraber Nerf, LMG nerfs, more Respawn EntertainmentThe Season 13 update for Apex Legends is dropping on Tuesday, May 10, and while it doesn’t include many Legend changes, there are lots of weapon changes to run through. A big Kraber nerf, LMG nerfs and more, here are all the buffs and nerfs for weapons. With Newcastle joining the roster, and a whole new Ranked Reloaded, there’s a lot to look forward to for Season 13. But, if you’re a Kraber enjoyed or an LMG crutch player, some of these weapon changes will not be good news for you. The Kraber was bound to get a nerf, as it had been winding up players especially at the highest level for far too long. LMGs were also due significant changes, as players first complained about the Spitfire and then the Rampage when it arrived. Here’s all the weapon updates Respawn has made for Season 13, dropping in the update tomorrow. You can check out the full patch notes here. Season 13 weapon nerfs and buffs Kraber Headshot multiplier down from 3.0 to 2.0 – Damage reduced from 145 to 140 – Rampage Increased reload time from 2.6 to 3.1 – Slightly increased handling times – LSTAR Reduced headshot damage multiplier from 1.75 to 1.5 – Reduced headshot distance from 64m to 57m – Overheat cool-off time increased from 2.5 to 3.6 – Slightly increased handling times – Devotion Damage reduced from 16 to 15 – Reduced headshot damage multiplier from 1.75 to 1.5 – Reduced headshot distance from 64m to 57m – Increased reload time from 2.8 to 3.2 – Draw time increased to 0.8 from 0.7 – Holster time increased to 0.75 to 0.65 – Raise time increased to 0.65 from 0.55 – Lower time increased to 0.6 from 0.5 – Havoc Improved recoil at the start of the pattern – Mozambique & Peacekeeper Increased limb damage from 0.8 to 1.0 – Spitfire Damage decreased from 19 to 18 – Purple & Gold Magazine capacity reduced from 55 to 50 – Crouched hipfire spread increased – Removed barrel attachment slot – Reduced headshot damage multiplier from 1.75 to 1.5 – Reduced headshot distance from 64m to 57m – Increased reload time from 3.2 to 3.4 – Draw time increased to 0.8 from 0.7 – Holster time increased to 0.75 to 0.65 – Raise time increased to 0.65 from 0.55 – Lower time increased to 0.6 from 0.5 – Mastiff Tightened blast pattern – Ammo capacity reduced from 6 to 4 – Stockpile ammo: 28 – Damage per pellet increased from 11 to 14 – Increased pellet size – Fire Rate increased from 1.1 to 1.2 – Weapon loot changes As well as buffs and nerfs, things have also changed around in regards to the Replicator weapons, care package weapons, and floor loot. The Mastiff shotgun is going back into the care package, while the Spitfire returns to the ground. R-301 and Rampage will be placed into Replicators, no longer available in Ground loot. Also, the Dual Shell hop-up has been removed from floor loot and crafting bundles. That’s all the major weapon changes in Season 13 – we’ll have to wait and see if these balancing updates are enough to stop the LMG meta, and make the Kraber less annoying to play against.

  • Apex Legends: All weapon buffs and nerfs in April 16 v1.1.1 update – patch notes – Dexerto

Apex Legends: All weapon buffs and nerfs in April 16 v1.1.1 update – patch notes The latest major game update in Apex Legends has brought with it some massive balancing changes and tuning to certain weapons, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up on everything there is to know. In the v1.1.1 update, which went live on April 16, the developers at Respawn Entertainment adjusted the effectiveness of some weapons based on both feedback and their own analyses of how the weapons perform in-game. Below you can find a full breakdown of a few of the major changes, as well as section of the official patch notes that lists all of the weapon tuning implemented via this update. Sniper Rifle buffs A big focus of the weapon tuning was around sniper rifles, as the developers made some changes in order to “improve the power of long range gameplay.” As a result, the G7 Scout, Triple Take, and Longbow DMR all had their leg shot damage reduction lowered from 25% to 10%, while the base weapon sway and speed were reduced by 33% and 25% respectively. Sniper Rifles were given a major boost in the v1,1,1 update, most of all the Longbow DMR. The Longbow DMR also had its own set of buffs, as its fire rate was increased from 1.2 to 1.6, while the base magazine size was increased from five rounds to six. However, the capacities of the Common (six to eight), Rare (eight to ten), and Epic (ten to 12) mag extenders were actually increased by two rounds each. Wingman and Spitfire The Wingman and Spitfire are two of the strongest and fan-favorite weapons in Apex Legends, and both were nerfed in the v1.1.1 update. The Wingman’s magazine size was reduced across its base capacity and all of the mag extender variants, while the Spitfire’s base damage was reduced from 20 to 18, as well as the capacities of all of its mag extender attachments, but not the base. The fan-favorite Wingman was nerfed in the v1.1.1 update, as its magazine size was reduced. Gold Weapon adjustments The v1.1.1 update also made adjustments to the attachments that gold weapons come with. This, of course, is not referring to the Kraber or Mastiff, but rather regular weapons which have gold variants that come stacked with Legendary attachments. Read More: Apex Legends L-Star weapon animations leaked – The Gold Havoc, Gold R-301, and Gold Wingman have all had their preset attachments adjusted, with the Wingman now having a Digital Threat. Below, you can find the section of the patch notes having to do with weapon tuning. To view the entire patch notes, make sure to visit our v1.1.1 patch notes page for full details. WEAPON BALANCING On the weapons side of the equation, we’ve made a number of changes to try to improve the power of long range gameplay. We’re reducing leg shot damage reductions on sniper category weapons, so you’re not punished for landing inaccurate shots at long distances. Given the semi-auto and low damage nature of our current sniper suite, coupled with the general speed and evasiveness of many Legend kits, it already takes several challenging shots to down someone at range. Because of this difficult sniper environment, we’re also reducing general sniper weapon sway and hitting the DMR with a few targeted buffs to make it more viable to engage Legends at range. Separately from the sniper category, we are nerfing the Spitfire a bit, but our goal is to still keep it strong, as it’s a rarer spawning weapon. The Wingman is receiving a few magazine size nerfs, so that it doesn’t dominate the stock gun vs. stock gun battle early on due to its super high damage per bullet. Lastly, the Havoc is getting some general ammo and charge beam buffs to bring it in line as a viable energy ammo AR that competes with the R-301 and Flatine/Hemlok. The end goal is that the Havoc pressures a player’s ability to find Energy ammo, but is less dependent on finding attachments, whereas the R-301 and Flatline/Hemlok have less ammo pressure, but a higher reliance on finding more attachments to achieve power. G7 SCOUT / TRIPLE TAKE / LONGBOW DMR Lowered leg shot damage reduction: 25% -> 10% – Reduced base weapon sway by about 33% – Reduced base sway speed by about 25% – – LONGBOW DMR Increased fire rate 1.2 -> 1.6 – Increased magazine size Base mag increased: 5 -> 6 rounds – Common mag extender increased: 6 -> 8 rounds – Rare mag extender increased: 8 -> 10 rounds – Epic mag extender increased: 10 -> 12 rounds – – – HAVOC Increased base magazine size: 25 -> 32 rounds – Charge Beam Reduced cost per shot: 5 -> 4 – Increased close range damage: 55 -> 60 – Increased damage at range: 45 -> 50 – Close range damage falloff increased: 35m -> 75m – Ranged damage falloff increased: 75m -> 125m – – – WINGMAN Reduced magazine size Base mag reduced: 6 -> 4 rounds – Common mag extender reduced: 8 -> 6 rounds – Rare mag extender reduced: 9 -> 8 rounds – Epic mag extender reduced: 12 -> 10 rounds – – – Reduced magazine size – SPITFIRE Reduced base damage: 20 -> 18 – Magazine extender attachments reduced Common mag extender reduced: 45 -> 40 rounds – Rare mag extender reduced: 55 -> 45 rounds – Eprc mag extender reduced: 60 -> 55 rounds – – – ADJUSTMENTS TO GOLD WEAPON ATTACHMENTS: Gold Havoc Now has Turbocharger – Now has 1x-2x variable holo site – – Gold R301 Now has 1x-2x variable holo site – – Gold Wingman Now has digital threat – –

  • Apex Legends weapon audio trick helps track teams for easy kills – Dexerto

Apex Legends weapon audio trick helps track teams for easy kills Respawn EntertainmentA trick in Apex Legends lets players gauge how far away someone is depending on the gunshots they’re hearing. Given a battle royale’s nature, these weapon audio queues can lend themselves to easy kills. There’s a way for Apex players to discern how far away someone is depending on the kind of gun being used, which can give teams a good idea of where the action is taking place to mark their next move. Apex Legends is like other BRs in that a third team can swoop in at any time to disrupt a fight between two other squads. Also known as getting ‘third partied,’ this is a common occurrence that can turn the tide of a match depending on who makes the first move. YouTuber ‘TimProVision’ saw how far different weapon categories can be heard from. Things like shotguns can be heard about 200 meters out while snipers can be heard from 450 meters. As a reference point, the radius for the first ring of a match is about 550 meters. Meaning you can be a quick rotation away from any weapon you hear discharged in Apex. Read more: Who is Ash in Apex Legends? – If you can hear a sniper, then be prepared to use short-to-mid sightlines when rotating. Hearing something like an Assault Rifle or SMG can mean someone is close enough to make a play on. People can train their ears with this kind of information and adapt their gameplay to start wracking up some kills – even to a fault. “Was just talking with my buddies about how easy it is to third party on KC because of how far away you can hear gunshots,” one person said. “They really should reduce it.” There has been discussion among popular Apex figures to tweak the sounds from guns to reduce third parties. Until Respawn Entertainment changes Apex Legends’ sounds that affect gun sounds, players can have another tool at their disposal to come out on top.

  • Apex Legends Wattson player creates longest fences ever on World’s Edge – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wattson player creates longest fences ever on World’s Edge Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Wattson is known for her electrical prowess, but is also notoriously underpowered. One player has tried to fix this on their own though, by creating the longest fences World’s Edge has ever seen. Apex Legends’ resident fence builder, Wattson, is perfect for players that love to sit back and lure enemies into electrifying traps. While a new trick has surfaced that finally allows players to place the fence pylons a lot closer together (if they’re willing to spend the time on it, that is,) the same Wattson fan has also been trying out the exact opposite by pushing the fences to their limit. Using World’s Edge as their hunting ground, this trickster has managed to create the longest fences that the Apex Games have ever seen. Apex Legends Wattson player creates longest fences ever In an attempt to create the “longest, stupidest fences possible,” Apex Legends fan Swogglenoz has gone viral within the community once again for this discovery. Setting one side of the fence in the station area of the cable car on World’s Edge, they then proceed to drop the other marker in the car itself, which stretches the fence out as it continues its journey across the searing magma below. From here, they climb up onto the overpass that holds the aerial system together, and drop another pylon on top of the car. They then proceed to activate the fences to create a bizarre but brilliant electrical extravaganza. Placing a final lightning rod on one of the ropes leading down into the pit in the next cable car station, they proceed to activate it once more, illuminating the entire route in blue sparks. Amid comments calling Swogglenoz’s discovery “good f**king content” and “dope,” Respawn’s Associate Live Balance Designer John “JayBiebs” Larson has also jumped in to have his say. “Can’t believe y’all cry for a Wattson buff when she had this hidden power all along,” he joked. Will Respawn choose to fix this? Or will they continue to allow players to let the creativity run wild? Either way, this fence will go down in history for being, to borrow Swogglenoz’s words, “art.”

  • Apex Legends Wattson heirloom concept is truly electrifying – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wattson heirloom concept is truly electrifying Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ most coveted items are the heirlooms, and one fan has created an awesome design for Wattson that we’d love to see in the Outlands. Heirlooms, Melee weapon skins exclusive to specific Legends, represent not only a glimpse into the character’s past, but also your in-game prowess. Only available in Apex packs, players are guaranteed an heirloom for every 500 of the triangular bundles of goodness that they open. The whole system, though, relies on luck and a whole lot of grinding (or spending). With Revenant hinted to be the next Legend receiving an heirloom, and other trinkets supposedly in the works for Rampart and Crypto, French fence-builder extraordinaire Wattson has been left out in the cold. As Wattson mains get impatient, a fan has designed the perfect heirloom just for her. Apex Legends Wattson heirloom idea As the Outlands resident electrical expert remains in the middle of the pack, one fan has decided to show her a little love. “Since Wattson isn’t getting her heirloom anytime soon, I designed her one myself,” Dutch cosplayer and prop maker, YonyanCosplay, explained. The heirloom takes the form of a dagger, its main body split in two. Generating electricity in its central core, the copper wire inlays carry the current up through the knife’s blade. Sparks can be seen jumping from one side to the other, reminding us of using cheap electrodes in high school science classes. This, however, is a lot cooler. Fans have praised the idea as being “really cool,” and have used Yonyan’s design as a launchpad for their own ideas. From rusty old cattle prods to electrical whips, her heirloom has inspired a pretty interesting debate. So, while Wattson seems an unlikely pick for the next heirloom, we can’t wait to see what Respawn finally come up with for her. As long as it’s a combination of electricity and Nessie, though, we’ll be pretty happy.

  • Apex Legends Wattson heirloom revealed for Raiders Collection Event – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wattson heirloom revealed for Raiders Collection Event Respawn EntertainmentWattson’s heirloom has been revealed and will release with the Apex Legends Raiders Collection Event that kicks off the holiday season. Heirlooms are some of the most prized cosmetics in Apex Legends. They’re unique skins that are layered in the respective Legend’s lore and even come with their own animations and quips to add a bit of flair. With nearly 20 characters in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, the pipeline for Heirlooms can get slow with many players still waiting for their favorite Legend to get one. One of the most highly requested Heirlooms so far has been for Wattson and fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on it. Wattson heirloom revealed Respawn revealed Wattson’s heirloom on December 2 after including it as the grand prize in the Raiders Collection Event. The melee skin takes the shape of a gadget with a digital Nessie living inside of the heirloom. The Nessie AI aspect perfectly lines up with what we know of the Static Defender. This could be Respawn’s way of personalizing her Heirloom since Nessie dolls have a special place in the Apex community and Wattson’s lore. Wattson’s Energy Reader will be the 12th heirloom in Apex Legends following Lifeline’s and Rampart’s ultra-rare melee skins. • Apex Legends Wattson glitch activates secret Nessie emote – Dexerto

Apex Legends Wattson glitch activates secret Nessie emote Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends glitch with one of Wattson’s emotes can unlock a bizarre Nessie emote that takes cues from a previously patched bug for her. Wattson’s connection to her Nessie doll is embedded in official Apex lore and has been a beloved aspect of her past to the Apex community. Respawn Entertainment has leaned into that part of her fandom by giving her an emote that permanently places a Nessie doll on the map during a match. Players have now found a way to upgrade that emote, in a sense, by combining the animation with a known bug that combines Wattson’s pylon that she carries on her back with Nessie. There are a couple of steps to follow to make it work, but it’s relatively easy to reproduce in-game. Here’s how it’s done. Apex Legends Wattson secret Nessie emote Apex bug-finder ‘RossBobSquirrel’ found an endearing Nessie emote by activating an animation bug that gives the doll a bit more flair with a mini-Intercept Pylon as a hat. Wattson is known for the huge pylon that she carries on her back and the new animation lets her bestow the little figurine with one more for their size. For players who want to experiment with this emote for themselves, simply follow the steps needed to do the activation glitch per YouTuber RossBobSquirrel’s method. Apex Legends animation glitch: Have 2 weapons – Make sure your equipped weapon has an attachment – Hang on a ledge, then take off the attachment and place in your backpack – Drop your equipped weapon – Interact with something then switch to your other weapon – The YouTuber notes that you “should be able to shoot while interacting” with something like a Charge Tower to know if the animation glitch is activated. After that, just select the emote from the quip weel and press the ult button while emoting to see her bring out a doll decorated with a mini version of her pylon.
