Apex Legends ‘Warden’ character idea would take healing to the next level Respawn / Reddit: dvtheallAn Apex Legends character concept would bring a new medic into Respawn’s battle royale, providing competition to Lifeline and taking support heroes to the next level. Lifeline’s viability and popularity have fluctuated across Apex Legends’ lifespan but she has always remained the game’s only medic character. We’ve seen new characters based on mobility, recon, and speed, but never a healing-based Legend. Though, that’s not for a lack of trying from fans. However, one player has taken matters into their own hands and devised a healing-based legend that would definitely shake up the meta, as well as challenge Lifeline for the title of best in-game medic. Redditor ‘dvtheall‘ has designed the awesome Warden, a Frontline Guardian based around supporting teammates and nursing them back to full health. A robotic figure akin to Pathfinder, Warden dons red and white overalls; apt given its focus on first aid. In terms of abilities, the Passive would be known as Guardian Angel. This would allow Warden to send a device to downed teammates within 60m to pick them up remotely, with the Legend itself stuck in an animation until the revive is complete. The Legend’s Tactical would be called Transfusion Beam, and would allow it to steal shield off a target, depending on how long the beam has been charged up for. Finally, Warden’s Ultimate would be known as Resurrection Field. Placing a totem would trigger a 20m sphere, in which Warden’s team would receive a number of health benefits, including one self-revive. However, the totem would emit a noise and therefore be susceptible to enemy destruction, which would end the protective sphere. Warden is a truly awesome vision, described by one fan as a combination of Revenant and Lifeline. It’s a rather unlikely combination, but we’d love to see this robotic support Legend in Apex.

Apex Legends “war on cheaters” is going to the next level with all-new methods – Dexerto
Apex Legends “war on cheaters” is going to the next level with all-new methods RespawnApex Legends after an increased number have appeared in Ranked play. The long-awaited ranked mode for Apex Legends was finally added to the game with the start of Season 2: Battle Charge back on July 2. The mode allows highly skilled players to take on opponents of a similar caliber in a more competitive setting. However, some players haven’t been wholly truthful about where their skills come from – with plenty of hackers worming their way in. It’s obviously something that the more honest players want the developers to crack down on, and their calls are being answered. In their check-in post with the Apex Legends subreddit, the Respawn community team offered up a number of insights in some tweaks and fixes players can expect. Aside from bugs and the annoying Code Leaf errors, cheating played a big part in the conversation. The developers used the thread to reveal how they’re beginning to crack down further on cheaters. Moving forward, Respawn will be utilizing machine learning to create behavior models that detect and auto-ban cheaters, as well as making matches that only connect detected cheaters and spammers – among other things. The clamping down on cheaters is not solely specific to season two, as Repsawn has banned an extraordinary amount of players for one reason or another since the game’s release. Of course, ridding the game of cheaters is never a bad thing and it clearly appeases fans who may have their sessions ruined by hackers. Apex Legends fans are still able to report any opponents they suspect are using an exploit through either the in-game or online messaging systems The in-game route will also be getting a revamp as developer Michael ‘thezilch’ Kalas revealed that players will soon be able to rotate through an opposing squad via the kill cam and report them. It does help Respawn’s effort if proper evidence is provided, so try and capture some sort of incriminating video or photo before sending in those reports.

Apex Legends want fan-favorite Hop-Up to return in Season 14 – Dexerto
Apex Legends want fan-favorite Hop-Up to return in Season 14 Respawn EntertainmentWith Apex Legends Season 14 ‘Hunted’ on the horizon, players want one particular Hop-Up back to shake up some fan-favorite weapons. Apex Legends Season 14 will arrive on August 9, 2022, and many fans are itching to see the new updates coming to the battle royale. While members of the community know some details about the changes coming in Season 14 like the increased level cap and the new Legend Vantage, there’s still a for Respawn to reveal. One change a lot of players are hoping to see in a future update is the return of one specific Hop-Up: the Selectfire Reciever. Apex Legends players want the Selectfire Reciever back The discussion surrounding the Selectfire Reciever started thanks to Reddit user Status-Apple7509, who made a post to the Apex Legends subreddit about missing the option for the Prowler. The post quickly gained traction among the community, with players reminiscing about how helpful the Hop-Up was in the earlier seasons of the game. “Am I the only one that misses Select Fire for turning the Havoc into a nicer Charge Rifle/Tripletake?” asked user mahtats. Plenty of players also echoed the sentiment that they missed it on the Havoc specifically, such as Minimob0 who explained: “3x scope on the Havoc with Selectfire was my main…It was like having 3 different weapons on you at all times, and I miss it so much.” Some even speculated that the Selectfire Reciever is set to make a return to Apex Legends soon. “I think it’s coming back this season…Based on the new season trailer, when Newcastle was about to shoot Vantage, we can see that he was charging up his Havoc,” explained DubbyMazlo. Those rumors, though, have no foundation at the time of writing. While it’s clear a lot of players want this Hop-Up to return, fans will just have to wait and see if it’s back in the loot pool when Season 14 launches on August 9, 2022.

Apex Legends player dies after face-planting into a wall – Dexerto
Apex Legends player dies after face-planting into a wall Electronic ArtsApex Legends players express surprise upon finding out that slamming into a wall will result in instant death. Like countless other games, Apex Legends has its fair share of quirky ways that players can die in-game. In the past, users have found themselves stuck in bizarre death loops, insta-killed by doors, and even taken out by death boxes. Players are still uncovering new and surprising ways in which the game can knock them down a peg, though. In fact, based on gameplay footage recently shared by one Apex Legends fan, the shooter’s sturdy walls may warrant consideration as worthy opponents. Apex Legends players learn slamming into a wall means death A Reddit post from a user named hermogeon reveals that hitting a wall at the right speed in Apex Legends could mean spell doom. The Redditor shared a gameplay clip wherein their Pathfinder swings around aimlessly at high speeds. All seems find in the first half of the video, yet things take a dark turn when the player accidentally slams into a wall. All that’s heard is a loud metallic smack just as Pathfinder is insta-killed from the shocking blow. The original poster’s fellow Apex Legends players seem just as surprised by the sudden wall death. Wrote one person in response, “Did not know that this [was] possible.” This same comment also sparked discourse about whether or not this counts as Apex’s non-existent fall damage or collision damage. “Does this video prove falling damage does exist or super fast collision kills?” pondered another user. On the other hand, some Redditors were too busy lining up the perfect joke to worry about the implications of collision damage. “When pathy starts his new Job as a collision dummy,” mused one person. Someone else joked, “Poor Pathfinder died of parts explosion.” Death by wall collision isn’t the best way to go out in Apex Legends, but it certainly makes for interesting conversation.

Apex Legends wall-bouncing shotgun creation could change the way you play – Dexerto
Apex Legends wall-bouncing shotgun creation could change the way you play Respawn EntertainmentA devastating Apex Legends shotgun design could forever change the way you play Respawn Entertainment’s popular Battle Royale, due to a new and intriguing mechanic thought up by a diehard fan. While a number of suggestions put forth by the Apex Legends community of late have focused on various aspects of map design and even vanity item ideas, a fresh weapon concept could have an indelible mark on the battle royale if it ever sees the light of day. Not just focusing exclusively on the visual appearance of a new addition, this creation promotes all aspects of weapon design from overall damage potential to just how much ammo it could carry into battle. Showcasing their weapon concept, Reddit user ‘DudeWithName’ put forward the ‘VXN-12.’ A “slug-shelled shotgun,” the new weapon is another close-ranged powerhouse specifically balanced with indoor fighting in mind. The unique element of this particular design is that the shell “bounces off of floors and walls” to gain “a damage boost after the initial bounce.” Rather than aiming directly at enemies, players would actually be rewarded for thinking in new ways and trying to line up perfect angles in order to bounce their shots towards opponents. Breaking down the new weapon, the designer outlined how shells can only be bounced a single time. Meaning that players won’t be able to trap enemies in small rooms until a never-ending projectile inevitably bounces into them. The VXN-12 would deal 50 damage for a regular body shot and 65 for a bounced shot to the body. The biggest bonus overall is applied when bounced projectiles connect with the head, dealing 75 damage for a standard blow and a whopping 95 for an angled bounce to the dome. The tradeoff comes in the form of a small magazine size at just five shells, along with a relatively slow travel speed once shots have been blasted out of the weapon. Presented as a Common item, there’s no denying the unique effect would certainly change the way players think about shotguns moving forward. Rather than simply aiming and firing, veterans will have to think on their feet if they truly want to maximize damage with this stunning concept.

Apex Legends Voidwalker update: All buffs and nerfs for weapons, Legends and more – Dexerto
Apex Legends Voidwalker update: All buffs and nerfs for weapons, Legends and more Apex LegendsThe new Voidwalker event went live in Apex Legends on September 3, bringing a big map change and new cosmetics, but there were also some major tweaks to weapons and legends that you may have missed. Developers Respawn Entertainment have stuck to their plan of making updates somewhat infrequently, so as not to upset the balance or ‘meta’ of the game too drastically, too often. The previous Apex Legends patch, which dropped alongside the launch of the Iron Crown event, also made some wholesale changes to weapons and legends, but after further feedback and testing, more tweaks have been implemented for the Voidwalker event. Weapon balancing Only two weapon changes have been implemented in the September 3 update, but one of these changes affects an entire class of weapons: the SMGs. Projectile width has also been increased for the Triple Take, although specifics of the change have not been provided. This is a small nerf though, as it will make landing all three projectiles on an enemy a bit trickier. Increased projectile width for the TripleTake – SMG weapons are no longer compatible with the 3x HCOG and 2x-4x variable ACOG scopes. Note from design: Our goal with this change is to better define weapon archetypes and improve the looting experience so that players aren’t accidentally picking up a long range site for a close range weapon that they have to manually remove. – – Legend balancing Two legends have been adjusted in the Voidwalker update, Wattson and Bloodhound, with the former most significantly impacted. It appears that Respawn are concerned about Wattson being a little too good, and she has now been given ‘low profile attributes’. This was a nerf first implemented for Wraith, Lifeline and Pathfinder, who, because of their slender/short physical shape, take 5% more damage than other legends. On the other hand, Caustic and Gibraltar (the bulkier legends) take 10% reduced damage, thanks to being a bigger target overall. Wattson Wattson will now have low profile attributes [takes %5 more damage to base health] – Reduced the maximum number of Interceptor Pylons that can be active to 1. – Bloodhound Fixed an issue that allowed players to cancel the start up animation for their ultimate when activated while using a zipline. – Bug fixes In addition to the buffs and nerfs, a number of bug fixes and quality of life changes were also made: Fixed a bug where sometimes a player’s reward would not display properly after completing a challenge that awards crafting metals. – Fixed a bug where sometimes players would see a different rare skin equipped to the Legend they are spectating when hanging from a ledge. – Fixed some issues related to script errors. – [Xbox] Fixed issue where sometimes players would have issues connecting to a match at the same time as their party forcing them to join Legend Select late with Legends already locked. – [PS4] code fixes to address crashes related to out of memory issues. – Fixed a bug where sometimes players would still be in an out of bounds state when they are not actually out of bounds. – QUALITY OF LIFE New Promo Window – A new feature we’ve added to the Lobby that will display offers and info and allows for direct navigation to the website or store. – Added Auto Sprint feature to all platforms that can be turned on or off. This is disabled by default and can be changed in the Settings menu. – Players can now adjust Aim Down Sight look sensitivity per optic zoom level. – Visual improvements to Legends in the Lobby and Character Select screen Increased overall brightness. – Softer/lighter shadows. – Improved reflections on hard surfaces. – Improved detail and contrast to textures. – – Added UI to the Spectator View that lets players easily tell if they are spectating a squadmate or enemy. – Added setting to disable weapon auto switching when ammo runs out. – With how close we are now to Apex Legends Season 3 (expected in early October), this is likely the last major update we will have until the new season begins. Wattson has certainly been a fan favorite since her addition at the start of the second season, so there will be some players understandably disappointed with her nerf, but it remains to be seen if it will lead to overall better balancing.

Apex Legends Voidwalker update patch notes – cosmetics, new mode, challenges, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends Voidwalker update patch notes – cosmetics, new mode, challenges, more EAA brand-new Apex Legends limited-time event kicked off Tuesday, September 3. Lasting for two weeks, the Voidwalker Event will be based on Wraith, one of the game’s most popular characters. The Voidwalker event is the second special update to the battle royale in as many months, following on from Iron Crown Collection, which dropped on August 13. According to developers Respawn Entertainment, Voidwalker will delve into the “mysterious past” of Wraith, a character who is able to transport herself and enemies through portals. With the event about to kick off, here’s everything you can expect to see when the action begins. Apex Legends Voidwalker release date Apex Legends fans won’t have long to wait before they can take part in the new Voidwalker event – it’s set to start on Tuesday, September 3, and will run until Tuesday, September 17. Respawn have yet to confirm if the event will require an update to be downloaded, but based on Iron Crown Collection, players can expect a new patch to release in order to add the new items and modes to the game. Armed and Dangerous LTM A new limited-time mode called Armed and Dangerous is being included with this event that will only feature snipers and shotguns, meaning players will really need to be on point with their aiming to succeed. Respawn will be holding in-game surveys looking for feedback so make sure you let them know if you enjoy this LTM. Wraith Town location Part of King’s Canyon is being reworked to reveal the unearthed Project: Wraith facility. Players will be able to explore the remains of the site which features a portal that can be used to get a jump on the base or to escape and begin a skydive. Where exactly this location will appear on the map remains to be seen, but Respawn says that there will be hidden lore details here so make sure you’re paying attention when you’re in this location. Voidwalker Lore trailer As Apex Legends doesn’t have a campaign component to match its battle royale, fans are left scraping through the slow drip of lore that Respawn releases to come up with some theories about a legend’s backstory. So, it helps when the developers drop a new video revolving around one. With this Voidwalker event being centered on Wraith, Respawn have delved into her background, even going as far as hinting at her linking up with the unreleased Crypto character. What Crypto has to do with this event remains unknown, but it absolutely appears as if he is attached to Wraith in someway. Lower priced cosmetics Respawn listened to the backlash of the monetization of the Iron Crown event and have fixed that for Voidwalker. Players will be able to purchase cosmetics for $5 outside of the legendary skin and frame so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank for this one. There will also be two sets of exclusive cosmetics throughout the event, with the first – including a weapon camo for the RE-45 and skins for Lifeline and Gibraltar – only available during week one, while a Prowler camo, and a new outfit for Bangalore will be released during week two. Event challenges With this event, there are numerous challenges that players can complete which will earn exclusive skins and Wraith-themed cosmetics. These challenges and rewards will just be active during Voidwalker, so if you want to earn all the items you’ll need to make sure you complete them before September 17 when the event ends. Double XP weekend Players who play from September 6 at 10am PT to September 9 at 10am PT will earn double XP for every top five finish and victory which affects both Account Level and Battle Pass progression. This will be a perfect opportunity to dive into the event and earn some experience while you’re at it. You can read Respawn’s full post on the event here. Apex Legends voice lines leaked for 8 unreleased weapons – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice lines leaked for 8 unreleased weapons Respawn Entertainment / MarutoTheBandid – DeviantArtProminent Apex Legends dataminer ‘KralRindo’ has found and leaked voice lines of various characters mentioning weapons that have not yet been released in the game, including Titanfall’s CAR SMG and EPG. For games like Apex, one that continuously gets updated instead of being supplanted by a sequel, new content is imperative to keep the whole experience fresh. One major addition that developers Respawn Entertainment make at the start of every season is a brand new weapon, and so far we’ve had four: Havoc, L-STAR, Charge Rifle, and Sentinel. There’s no doubt that Respawn have a number of weapons in development for upcoming seasons, and we now have an idea of what some of them might be thanks to a new leak. Reddit user KralRindo, who’s established himself as a reliable dataminer for the battle royale, posted a couple of videos of several Legends saying lines that included the names of guns not in the game. The first shows the likes of Bangalore, Caustic, Pathfinder and others naming the CAR SMG, EPG, and Volt SMG. The second video is very similar to the first, but including voice lines for the Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher, Cold War, Softball, and Archer. Fans of Respawn’s Titanfall series will notice all of these weapons featured in Titanfall 2, which is where the Redditor got the images from to include in the videos. This shouldn’t come as a surprise; a lot of the guns in Apex Legends are based on similar ones from Titanfall games, and some even have identical names to their older counterparts. Read More: Apex stats show which guns kill fastest – For those who are not familiar with some of the names, the EPG-1 was a single-fire direct energy propelled launcher, EM-4 Cold War a four-round burst weapon, the R-6P Softball an Anti-Armor Grenade Launcher, and Archer a lock-on rocket launcher. What do the leaks mean? Before anyone gets ahead of themselves, it’s extremely unlikely all these weapons will end up in Apex. In all likelihood, these guns are ones Respawn may consider adding and thus recorded lines with the voice actors just in case. That would explain why newer Legends, like Revenant and Crypto, are not featured in the videos since these recordings were probably made before those characters were even added. Read More: When does Apex Legends Season 5 start? – However, that’s not to say none of these guns will get chosen. In fact, based on the leaks, there’s strong reason to believe that either the CAR or Volt SMGs will be added in Season 5, especially considering the submachine category is one Respawn haven’t expanded since the game first launched. A lot of people thought one of the two would be added in Season 4, but the devs went with a curveball in the form of the Sentinel sniper rifle, so we could finally see a new SMG next. All that said, however, Respawn have proven themselves to be quite tricky when it comes to predictions. They recently admitted they went as far as to put false info in the game’s back-end files to bait miners into spreading fake intel, so caution must be exercised when trying to read too much into these leaks.

Apex Legends voice actors for all characters – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice actors for all characters Respawn EntertainmentYou may be familiar with the distinctive and recognizable voice lines of Apex Legends, but do you know who the actors are that portray them? Apex Legends has a vast roster of characters also known as Legends in the game. Each season, a new character is added to the game and that comes with a new voice actor. Here, we’ll be focusing on the English-speaking voice actors for each role. There are also additional voices in the game, beyond the characters, such as the announcer, who you’ve probably heard more than anyone else. Here’s a complete list of all the voice actors for each character in Apex Legends. Apex Legends Voice Actors Announcer: Zehra Fazal Technically, the first actor on the list isn’t actually the voice of a Legend. But, Fazal is probably the most common voice in the game. You’ll hear her throughout the match, keeping you up to date on the movements of the ring, and announcing who the champion squad is, kill leaders and more. Zehra also voiced the Pathfinder Town Takeover, with all those quirky lines about fighting in the ring. Ash voice actor: Anna Campbell Ash is a returning character from Titanfall 2, meaning the voice actor was already lined up for Apex Legends. Anna Campbell returns to the role to voice the Season 11 Legend, although like Bloodhound and Revenant, the voice is heavily modulated. Campbell is a TV actor as well as voices, and has directed and produced too. Other games include God of War and Lost Planet 3, in addition to Titanfall. Bangalore voice actor: Erica Luttrell One of the original cast, Eric Luttrell is the voice of Bangalore in Apex Legends. She is a Canadian, and her sister Rachel is also an accomplished actor. Erica has featured in other games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Twin Mirror, Star Wars: Squadrons, The Last of Us: Part II, and Fallout 76, among many others. You may also recognize her from some on-screen roles, including HBO’s Westworld, or as Claire Rayburn in Salvation. Ballistic voice actor: Robin Atkin Downes The voice behind Season 18’s Legend Ballistic is renowned English actor Robin Atkin Downes. Downes will be recognizable from several on-screen and voice roles, including Destiny, Diablo, the animated series Arcane, and a host of other games. He has also done voice work for blockbuster games such as The Last of Us and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Bloodhound voice actor: Allegra Clark Bloodhound’s voice actor, Allegra Clark, is one of the voices which might at first be unrecognizable. There are a number of effects applied to the voice recordings to achieve the metallic, grainy sound of Bloodhound’s voice, as they speak through their mask. Allegra Clark is also a voice actor with a number of other video game credits, including the wildly popular Genshin Impact. Other credits include Dragon Age: Inquisition, where Allegra plays Josephine Montilyet, Star Wars: Squadrons, World of Warcraft and more. Catalyst voice actor: Meli Grant The Season 15 Legend, Catalyst, is voiced by Meli Grant, an accomplished voice actor with credits in other games, including Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and V Rising. She has also voiced characters in numerous TV shows and animes, including JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Fire Force. As a trans woman, Meli Grant was perfect for the role of the first transgender woman in Apex Legends too, as Catalyst. Caustic voice actor: JB Blanc JB Blanc is another accomplished actor with roles in many video games, movies, and TV shows. In Apex Legends, he plays Dr Nox, better known as Caustic. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fans may recognize him as Dr. Barry Goodman. He’s also featured in Respawn’s other recent release, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, where he plays Prauf, friend of Cal Kestis at the opening of the game. Other game roles include Legends of Runeterra, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Mortal Kombat II, and Diablo III. Fun fact: JB Blanc is also the voice of Blisk in Titanfall – who is also rumored to be a future Legend in Apex. Crypto voice actor: Johnny Young Young has had other roles in video games, including World War Z and Medal of Honor. Fuse voice actor: Ben Prendergast He’s featured in a bunch of other games too including Hades, Star Wars Resistance, and the upcoming God of War Ragnorok. He’s also worked on-screen and on-stage, in shows like Preacher and Frontier. Gibraltar voice actor: Branscombe Richmond The voice of Gibraltar is none other than Branscombe Richmond. For a character like Gibraltar, a South Pacific islander, he requires a very particular voice. Richmond himself has English, Native American, Native Hawaiian, French, French Polynesian, Spanish, and Portuguese roots – an incredible array. Unlike many of the other Apex Legends voice actors, Richmond hasn’t featured in quite as many video games. He has been in a variety of movies and TV shows, starting his career in the mid-1970s. He’s perhaps best-known for his role in The Scorpion King, and has featured in shows like The A-Team and Walker, Texas Ranger. Horizon voice actor: Elle Newlands The Season 7 Legend, Horizon, is voiced by Scottish actor Elle Newlands. Although born and raised in Scotland, Newlands now lives in California. You may not have realized it was her when playing other games when she doesn’t use her own accent, but Newlands is featured in countless video games, including Doom Eternal, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Bioshock: Infinite, Skyrim, Halo 4, and Assassin’s Creed 3. Lifeline voice actor: Mela Lee From the original cast, Lifeline’s voice actor Mela Lee is to thank for some of the most iconic Apex Legends lines. Classics such as “Mozambique here” are brought to life by Lee. Other games you may have heard Mela include Mortal Kombat 11 (as Jade), Pokemon Masters, and as Tiki in Fire Emblem and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Mela Lee has also done voice-over work for many TV shows, including Avengers Assemble. Loba voice actor: Fryda Wolff Loba was one of the most exciting new characters when she was added in Season 5, and the voice behind the classy thief is Fryda Wolff, a Las Vegas native with Mexican roots. Her mother was from Mexico, and so Fryda can also speak fluent Mexican-Spanish. In the game, Loba’s father is Portuguese. Other games Fryda Wolff is featured in include Cyberpunk 2077 (Carol), Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Rage 2, The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Just Cause 4, and two Call of Duty games. Fun fact: According to IMDB, Wolff is the second cousin of Mexican director Alejandro Andrade – Loba’s surname is also Andrade. Mad Maggie voice actor: Nicola Kawana The latest season of Apex Legends introduced a new legend named Mad Maggie. This Salvo native is voiced by the New Zealand actress, Nicola Kawana. Kawana is most notably known for her acclaimed work in Shortland Street, the longest-running New Zealand television series ever. Voicing Mad Maggie signifies Kawana’s first major role in a AAA video game title and represents the 20th character in Apex Legends. Mirage voice actor: Roger Craig Smith The voice of Mirage, Roger Craig Smith is a true icon of the voice acting world. Some of his notable roles include Ezio from Assassin’s Creed, Chris Redfield in Resident Evil, Captain America, and many more. His most iconic role though, is probably as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog – a role he played for over 10 years until his run ended in 2021. Smith actually began his career in stand-up comedy, but his voice is so versatile and crisp, he’s been called upon to voice lots of roles in countless games and movies. Newcastle voice actor: Gabe Kunda Gabe Kunda is a Texas-born voice actor, who you may recognize from other popular games like Valorant and Warzone. He is the voice of KAY/O in Valorant, and the voice of Jackal in Warzone. In addition to now being the voice of Jackson (aka Newcastle), Kunda has also featured in many anime shows, including My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Deca-Dence, Black Clover, and Kemono Michi. Octane voice actor: Nicolas Roye Apex Legends’ first post-launch Legend, Octane, is voiced by Nicolas Roye. Nicolas is a Jersey native but was born to Spanish and Italian parents. The majority of his acting career has been in voice work, although has had parts in TV shows like Malcolm in the Middle, Without a Trace, and CSI. Halo fans can hear more of Nicolas, sounding very Octane-like in Halo Infinite, as he plays the Pilot traveling with the Master Chief. Roye also voices multiple characters in Cyberpunk 2077, and other games including Marvel’s Avengers, Resident Evil: Resistance, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Horizon Zero Dawn, and the Mafia series. Pathfinder voice actor: Chris Edgerly Voicing a friendly robot is no easy task, but veteran voice actor Chris Edgerly knows the trick. Like Roger Craig Smith, Edgerly has a long list of impressive voice acting credits. One of the roles he’s most known for, outside of Apex Legends, is voicing a variety of characters on The Simpsons. In video games, Edgerly has featured in The Amazing Spider-man 2, Halo, the Kingdom Hearts series, and various voices in Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, and Mass Effect. Rampart voice actor: Anjali Bhimani Rampart, Apex Legends’ Season 6 Legend, is voiced by Anjali Bhimani. A versatile actor, Bhimani performs stage, TV, movies, and many other games. The Indian-American has actually appeared more on-screen than in video games, but you may also recognize her as the voice of Symmetra in Overwatch. Some of her notable TV roles include Nina Patel on Modern Family, S.W.A.T., The Sopranos, Grace and Frankie, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Law and Order: SVU. Revenant voice actor: Darin De Paul Another accomplished voice actor, Revenant is voiced by Darin De Paul. Overwatch players will be familiar with his voice as Reinhardt, but, much like Bloodhound, Revenant’s voice is heavily modulated. Other roles include Emperor Calus in Destiny 2, Jonah Jameson in Spider-man, Hulk in Avengers, and Darth Vader in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fun fact: Darin De Paul also voiced Forge, the Legend that was killed by Revenant, who then took Forge’s place in the Apex Games. Seer voice actor: Iké Amadi Nigerian voice actor Iké Amadi is the voice for See, the Legend released in Apex Legends Season 10. Mortal Kombat 11 players may recognize Amadi’s voice from Shao Kahn and Cyrax, while Knack players will be very familiar with his voice. He’s also the voice of Prowler in Spider-man: Miles Morales and William Lake in Death Stranding. Wattson voice actor: Justine Huxley Justine Huxley is the voice actor for Wattson in Apex Legends. Introduced in Season 2, Wattson’s character, real name Natalie Paquette, is French, but Huxley is not, and instead pulls off a very convincing accent. Other games Huxley has featured in include Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V (both times voicing pedestrian dialogue), Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Huxley also completed voice work in the anime series Sword Art Online in 2020. Wraith voice actor: Shantel VanSanten Wraith‘s voice actor in Apex Legends in Shantel VanSanten. Better known for her work in TV, VanSanten doesn’t have as many video game roles as many of the other Legends. In fact, Apex was her first part in a video game. You may recognize Shantel from any number of popular shows, including One Tree Hill, Shooter, The Boys, The Flash, For All Mankind, and The Messengers. Shantel also played Lori in The Final Destination (2009). Valkyrie voice actor: Erika Ishii Erika Ishii is an accomplished voice and screen actor, who has appeared in numerous video games in major roles. Destiny fans will likely recognize Valkyrie’s voice from Ana Bray in Destiny 2, and she plays Ruth Dzeng, talk show host, in Cyberpunk 2077. Other gaming roles include Marvel’s Avengers, Last of Us: Part II, Fallout 76, and World of Warcraft. Vantage voice actor: Natalie Canizares Natalie Canizares is an actor and writer who has featured in a number of TV series. Based on her IMBD profile, this is Canizares first voice acting role in a video game – which actually suits Vantage’s young and novice character background too. Alter voice actor: Crystal Yu Alter is one of the Legends added to Apex Legends in Season 21. She is voiced by Crystal Yu who has previously worked on TV series like Sandman, Doctor Who and has even lent her voice to Diablo 4. Conduit voice actor: Frankie Kevich Introduced in Season 19, Conduit is a Support Legend in Apex Legends voiced by Frankie Kevich. She has lent her voice to different TV series such as Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune, Rainbow High and L.O.L. Surprise! House of Surprises. Apex Legends voice actors discovered in Cyberpunk 2077 – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice actors discovered in Cyberpunk 2077 Respawn Entertainment/CD Projekt RedSeveral Apex Legends voice actors have been discovered in CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, and now fans are questioning how many of them are involved. Cyberpunk released on December 10 around eight years after it was first announced, to massive fanfare and a hugely varied critical reception as one of the most highly-anticipated games of recent years. It didn’t take long, then, for the strong legion of Apex Legends players to notice some similarities between some of the Cyberpunk characters and their favorite legends in the Apex Games. Here are the characters and voice actors we’ve found so far. Loba voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077 One of the first voice actors to be found was that of Loba, who is voiced by Fryda Wolff. Wolff voices Carol in Cyberpunk, as shown in the clip here, with her distinctive voice slightly altered for the new character. Loba, is that you? If you’re playing #Cyberpunk2077 you might recognize a few familiar voices – Loba, Crypto and Octane voice actors are all in the game 👀 pic.twitter.com/gGJIwL9lHP — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) December 14, 2020 However, Wolff may voice some other characters in Cyberpunk too. She tweeted on December 13 about voicing Carol but also some other characters in the game, including “some ‘Latina accented’ randos and a super shrill stalker fangirl.” https://twitter.com/FreeTheWolfVO/status/1337992851456606208?s=20 Crypto voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077 The voice behind Crypto, Johnny Young, has also been discovered within Cyberpunk. After being tweeted a video that a fan presumed was him, Young quote tweeted it saying that they “found one of him” — possibly hinting that he features even more throughout the game. You found 1 of me 😬 possibly ❤️🙏 https://t.co/7bl5EwJj0M — Johnny Young (@JohnnyYoung115) December 11, 2020 Octane voice actor in Cyberpunk 2077 Finally, one voice actor that has revealed they are in Cyberpunk 2077 is Nicolas Roye, who voices Octane in Apex Legends. Though we haven’t found any snippets yet, he posted a tweet on December 10 saying that he “had an awesome time playing a few characters” in the game. Congrats to @CDPROJEKTRED and @PierceOToole on the release of #Cyberpunk2077 ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡Had an awesome time playing a few lil characters on this!🥂 — Nicolas Roye (@TheNicolasRoye) December 10, 2020 As for the other actors in Apex Legends, we won’t know if they feature in Cyberpunk 2077 until they reveal it themselves or more clips are discovered similar to those of Loba’s or Crypto’s. It’s definitely been fun hearing some of our favorite legends in Cyberpunk, but there is something weird about hearing them in a game that’s very out of place.

Apex Legends voice actor teases “juicy” Lifeline lore coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice actor teases “juicy” Lifeline lore coming soon Respawn/EA[jwplayer y770CzB5]Lifeline mains might soon have something to celebrate as both her voice actor and an Apex Legends writer have teased some “juicy” lore, possibly on the way in Season 6. The biggest thing that set Apex Legends apart from its battle royale competitors is the use of unique, story-based characters. These ‘Legends’ have their own different abilities to suit various playstyles, but they’ve also got interesting backstories as well. All of the Legends have had some of their past explained, but not all of them have been in great detail. The most detailed explanations have come in the form of events, cinematic trailers, and other clues from Respawn themselves. Even though there have been hints at Bangalore being the star of the show when season six comes around, it appears as if Lifeline will getting some love as well. Lifeline’s voice actor, Mela Lee, responded to a few fan questions on Twitter about her character before noting that one writer, Tom Casiello, has given her some insight into what’s coming next. “Some very juicy Lifeline Lore is coming courtesy of @tommiecas,” she tweeted. “I literally cried when I got a sneak peek.” The writer responded himself, noting that his previous teasers about Lifeline lore were not in vain and that Lee’s tears were “good tears” – adding fuel to the fire that something pretty big regarding the Combat Medic is in the works. See, Lifeline fans? I’m not talking out my ass, I swear! 🤣 And I didn’t mean to make Mela cry, I swear! They were good tears! https://t.co/yPfv742eyY — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 18, 2020 Now, some fans quickly pointed out that they’re hoping that the teasers lead to a lifeline-themed event, just like how Wraith, Octane, Crypto, and Bloodhound have had Town Takeover events in previous seasons. Casiello was also the same writer who confirmed we’d be learning a lot more about Bangalore in Season 6, which led to speculation about an event for her as well. How exactly Lifeline and Bangalore will both get their time in the spotlight is unclear. Now do you think we’d put our girl front and center, only to just drop her in Season Six? Oh, ye, of little faith… That tough “not here to make friends” facade is just starting to crack. She’s letting her guard down a little, and that means her journey’s just getting started! https://t.co/ZYTxpN4pT5 — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 12, 2020 Neither the voice actor nor the writer offered anymore insight beyond their tweets, so it’s purely speculation from interested fans. Lifeline does, however, have an Heirloom set, so it would make sense for her to have an event as well, given that Wraith, Octane, and Bloodhound have all had the same treatment.

Apex Legends voice actor reveals crazy tech behind The Game Awards cameo – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice actor reveals crazy tech behind The Game Awards cameo During The Game Awards 2019, Mirage made an appearance in character in what many thought was just a pre-recorded video, but it was actually done completely live. Respawn hyped up an announcement at The Game Awards that ended up being the start of Mirage’s Holo-Day winter event. In a surprise to all, it was actually revealed by the character himself in a special appearance. While announcements like this have largely been considered hit or miss by those watching, this particular one is very impressive considering it was all done live. Roger Craig Smith, the voice actor of Mirage and many other video game characters, confirmed this revelation while answering fan questions on Twitter. Totally live! Should be more coming to show you behind the scenes in the next few days! — Roger Craig Smith (@RogerCraigSmith) December 13, 2019 Smith was able to go more in-depth with what it took to pull this off and, as it turns out, it wasn’t exactly a simple method. According to an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Smith was in a studio next door to the Microsoft theatre dressed in spandex and performance capture devices where he would then interact with host Geoff Keighley. To ensure everything went well, 20 engineers, art directors, and other tech people were present to prevent any issues that arose. To their credit, the whole segment was able to avoid errors, even with the dialogue itself being improvised. Drew Stauffer, Apex Legends’ creative director, said that isn’t even close to the number of people that made the event happen either. “It feels like a lot out there, but that’s not even half of the total people that make it come together,” he said. Creative technology studio The Mill worked with Cubic Motion in an effort to make the performance happen. Creative director at The Mill, Lisha Tan, said Stauffer approached the team back in October 2018, before Apex even released, about a live performance like this. “Drew came to us with a pitch back in October of last year,” said Tan to THR. “This is kind of new territory, new tech. We’ve never really done this before. It’s completely different trying to capture this live, because with mo-cap you can always come back to it later. This is like filming live-action. It’s live!” Can’t wait for you all to realize what the awesome folks at @Respawn just pulled off for #ApexLegends fans to make for a very special LIVE announcement of the #MirageVoyage here at the @thegameawards! So much more to come… What a rush that was! pic.twitter.com/R3OIofmXBW— Roger Craig Smith (@RogerCraigSmith) December 13, 2019 Smith showed a glimpse of himself wearing all of the gear and explained he was excited to see everything that went into making this into a reality from a different point of view. He had perhaps the most stressful part of the job since the whole reveal going well relied on his performance. “It will be strange when I see the behind-the-scenes stuff and see the perspective that I don’t get,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. When he found out the whole announcement would be done live, he had some doubts about it, but luckily, everything went off without a hitch. “This is a game-changer for me,” Smith said. “I’ve done mo-cap before, but to come in for this and to see it fully captured live, I was thinking, ‘Can they do that?’” As for the event Mirage announced, it is live now through January 7, and there are plenty of cosmetics for players to unlock. Also part of it is a brand new LTM called Winter Express, where players have to battle it out among each other for control of the train. There’s a lot to take in with this event so make sure you get out there and check it out before it disappears for good!

Apex Legends video shows how much has changed since Season 1 – Dexerto
Apex Legends video shows how much has changed since Season 1 Apex Legends Season 2 is here and one fan went through the work of showing all of the map changes that were made from Season 1. Respawn always said map changes were on the way to Apex Legends and they have delivered in a large way with Season 2. If you’re new to Apex with Season 2 or don’t really notice everything that’s different, this fan-made video gives players a glimpse at many of the things that are different. Changing up the map is important in keeping a battle royale feeling fresh, something that works very well in Fortnite’s favor, and Apex Legends did just enough here to make the map feel new to returning players. The video, created by Reddit user mnkymnk, shows a little over two minutes of all of the changes that came, and some of them might be surprising. Some sections of the map had subtle changes but others received complete overhauls that might make some parts of King’s Canyon completely unrecognizable. An Apex Legends developer even shared their appreciation for the video. “This is really well done, especially without knowing exactly where the changes would be,” the dev wrote. “Nice work!” We’re still very early into the life of Apex Legends so it’s possible we can see more drastic changes on the horizon. It’s clear that the extra time Respawn took for Season 2 didn’t go to waste. The developers are starting to build up the lore of the game and with the Leviathans stomping around, we might see some locations even get leveled by them. Apex Legends Season 2 has gotten off to a good start and fans will want to see the devs keep the ball rolling, whether that’s with additional map changes or other new features.

Apex Legends victory rewards could be the perfect way to overhaul Crafting Metals – Dexerto
Apex Legends victory rewards could be the perfect way to overhaul Crafting Metals Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players feel that the game’s crafting can be grueling and largely unrewarding, which is leading some players to think the system needs a major overhaul. The launch of Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale was met with incredible acclaim by fans, but as time goes on numerous growing pains are starting to wear on the players. The Apex fan base has been mulling over how to best retool the crafting system that would give players a better footing for acquiring necessary materials to create some of the games more prestigious cosmetics. Can’t craft without materials Even though most fans recognize and fully appreciate the game’s free-to-play structure, there are those who feel that grinding in King’s Canyon isn’t getting them far with many aspects of the battle royale. “I’ve been playing Apex pretty steady since its launch, and have enjoyed it immensely. However, crafting in its current state is a real issue…” Redditor ‘feedingturtles’ said. “I’ve only accrued 1145 crafting materials – not even enough to craft 1 Legendary item. This system needs a real overhaul IMO and really hurts the grind aspect of Apex.” Fans think there’s a serious lack of ways to earning materials but there could be a way to find a happy medium between grinding and earning. How to fix the crafting system? Before getting into the discussion, players acknowledged that the free-to-play model only works if there are other incentives for people to spend their money on, such as highly coveted cosmetics. With that in mind, some players think that it wouldn’t be damaging to introduce a small but consistent reward for winning games. “Alright I know this is a F2P and devs have to make money somehow, but guys as much as I have fun playing this game, it’s still lacking rewards for winning a game,” Redditor ‘tactikz4’ said. Tactikz4 even gave a structure that would reward crafting materials in a tiered system for victors such as “1st Place: 50. 2nd Place 30. 3rd Place: 10.” With suitable restrictions or limits to the amount of crafting materials one could earn in a given day, this solution could be a gateway to a more rewarding system to take place.

Apex Legends version of ‘lofi hip hop radio’ with Wraith is the perfect remake – Dexerto
Apex Legends version of ‘lofi hip hop radio’ with Wraith is the perfect remake Respawn Entertainment / via ChilledCowYouTube’s classic lofi hip hop radio starring everyone’s favorite study partner has gotten an Apex Legends remix, putting Wraith in the chair along with a few easter eggs from the battle royale. Created by YouTuber ‘Mokey,’ with the help of SageNine Music for the track and Harrison Fordison with the room model, the fan-made CGI animation is impeccable in its presentation as many will instantly flash back to those times they needed an all-night playlist to vibe with. However, instead of a random assortment of the chillest lofi beats around the net, the video has an incredible remix of the main theme for Apex Legends. The epic opening to the battle royale seamlessly translates into an easy-listening track that distinguishes itself from the original while still hitting all the right notes with fans. But even more impressive are all the nods and easter eggs embedded in the entire frame, with Nessie dolls, a loot tick, and, of course, Wraith’s kunai knife that she picks up and plays with a bit as a study break. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot a nod to the original lofi radio by YouTube channel ‘ChilledCow,’ that can be spotted on Wraith’s laptop right in front of her, flanked by the highly-coveted Nesper charm/plush. The entire sequence clocks in at just under four minutes, and it took Mokey about eight months of sporadically working on the project to bring it all together for the finished product. And people have really been enjoying the fan-made creation, racking up a ton of fanfare on Reddit and YouTube where fans have been appreciating every inch of the video. Luckily for them, as the animation will forever live on the internet, SageNine indicated that there could be more Apex Legends remixes on the way: “Who knows, with the recent Fight Night release, I might have to make some new Jazz/Noir Chillhop, maybe even a full length Kings Canyon Radio mix!” This is one of the most impressive fan creations we’ve seen from the Apex Legends community, and it’s been resonating with thousands of players.

Apex Legends Veiled collection event: Caustic prestige skin, Unshielded Deadeye LTM, new skins – Dexerto
Apex Legends Veiled collection event: Caustic prestige skin, Unshielded Deadeye LTM, new skins Respawn/EARespawn have revealed a brand-new Collection Event for Apex Legends known as Veiled, bringing in Caustic’s prestige skin, a brand-new TDM LTM, and new skins. Here’s what you need to know. After a longer-than-normal wait for Season 16, Respawn have kept it chock full of new updates and events over the last few weeks. We’ve already had two events – the Imperial Guard event and Sun Squad collection event – but they’ve now got a third one in store, Veiled. This is another collection event, but there isn’t an Heirloom coming this time around. Instead, Respawn are adding a Prestige skin for Caustic, a new TDM limited-time mode, and a whole host of new skins in the run-up to Season 17 kicking off. So, let’s get into it all. Apex Legends Veiled Event release date The new Veiled collection event will release on Tuesday, April 25. The exact update time should be 6 pm GMT/10 am PT / 1 pm ET/7 pm CEST based on the update times of previous events. New LTM: TDM Unshielded Deadeye The previous collection event brought an all-new game mode in the form of Heatwave, and Respawn are doing something similar with Veiled. They’re adding a spin on the Team Deathmatch mode by adding TDM Unshielded Deadeye as a limited-time mode. In this players will be given one of three rotating classes of weapons: Wingman and 30-30 Repeater, Hemlok and G7 Scout, or the Kraber and Sentinel. On top of that, players won’t have shields or helmets, so headshots are going to pack a nasty punch. Be the first team to 50 to win. New skins in Apex Legends Veiled event As ever, there will be a whole host of new skins to get your hands on in this event. In fact, there are 24 in total, with Legendary skins for Wattson, Rampart, and Gibraltar. New Prestige skin: Caustic’s Apex Contagion As noted, this collection event has a Prestige skin involved rather than an Heirloom, and it’s going to Caustic! Like the other Prestige skin, the Toxic Trapper’s new Apex Contagion look will have three tiers and a unique look for those who are really dedicated to his cause. As ever, you don’t ned to spend all sorts of money to have fun in the Collection event as there will be free rewards involved. You can check out the new prize tracker below, which includes a weapon charm, Newcastle skin, and free packs: That’s everything we know about the Veiled collection event right now. If there are any more changes, we’ll have them here, so be sure to check back for more.

Apex Legends’ Vantage can literally dash and wall run with tactical – Dexerto
Apex Legends’ Vantage can literally dash and wall run with tactical Electronic ArtsBy strategically employing her tactical ability, Apex Legends users discovered that Vantage can perform wall runs and dash maneuvers. A sharpshooter and the youngest Legend to date, Vantage joined the Apex Legends roster with the advent of Season 14 on August 9. The new character doesn’t solely bring a Deadshot-esque eye to the table, however. Vantage also comes with an adorable companion, a bat named Echo who plays a pivotal part in the execution of her tactical ability – Echo Relocation. At its core, Echo Relocation constitutes a smart movement tool. With it, Vantage can order Echo to a location, then hold the tactical button to jump to his spot. Apex Legends have already found a couple of creative uses for this particular gameplay mechanic, too. Vantage can wall run and dash in Apex Legends After engaging her tactical ability, Vantage will stop at nothing to reach Echo’s location – no matter the obstacle. In putting testing this, Twitter user and content creator Skeptation found that even walls can’t stop Vantage from meeting up with Echo. The below Apex Legends clip shows Vantage performing somewhat of a wall run maneuver on multiple occasions in an effort to jump to her companion. Similarly, Synergy Nava learned that Vantage can pretty much dash in any direction with the tactical ability engaged. This trick seems to work wonders in terms of giving Vantage more control of the battle situation. The wall running-like maneuver is particularly interesting, given developer Respawn’s Titanfall heritage. And since the two franchises share a universe, perhaps it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that some of Titanfall’s maneuverability snuck its way into the battle royale, even if it is situational.

Apex Legends devs respond to strange fan request about Vantage’s bat – Dexerto
Apex Legends devs respond to strange fan request about Vantage’s bat Electronic ArtsA Respawn developer has responded to an odd request from Apex Legends fans who want to shoot Vantage’s pet bat, Echo. Vantage and Echo joined the Apex Legends lineup fairly recently, arriving alongside the battle royale title’s Season 14 update. The newest and youngest Legend most notably assumes the role of a sharpshooter, a sniper whose skills come with few limitations. Vantage’s sidekick, the aforementioned Echo, plays a major role in her abilities on the battlefield, too. However, the bat also features a few exploits that give its owner an unfair advantage. Apex Legends players want to bring down Vantage’s bat Enemy combatants can’t shoot Echo as things currently stand. But exploits such as positioning a Heat Shield on the bat for mobile protection have non-Vantage players calling foul. In fact, one popular Reddit post from Articuno_710 suggests many Apex Legends users agree that Echo shouldn’t be off limits. The thread has raked in over 12,800 upvotes from the community at the time of writing. Notably, the title’s Lead Gameplay Engineer, Reddit user RV-GameplayChris, responded to the thread with the following comment, “You’re a monster.” Upon responding to another Redditor who argued that Articuno_710 has a point because of the exploits Echo causes, the developer divulged, “If you mean the shield heal instant activation, a fix is incoming.” Based on this particular reply, the ability to shoot Vantage’s bat out of the sky won’t hit Apex Legends anytime soon. At the very least, players can hope Respawn Entertainment will eventually patch out some of the character’s Echo-driven bugs and exploits.

Valkyrie voice line is scaring Apex Legends players – Dexerto
Valkyrie voice line is scaring Apex Legends players Electronic ArtsA surprise voice line from Valkyrie startled an Apex Legends player, who heard a strange quote from the character after dying. A Recon Legend armed with several tactical abilities, Valkyrie joined the Apex Legends roster in 2021 during the game’s ninth season. Notably, Valkyrie recently became the subject of a few in-game nerfs, which reduced her power level in many respects. Yet, she remains quite the formidable foe on the battlefield. The character’s combat prowess is not what had one Apex Legends player doing a double take, though. Surprise Valkyrie voice line scares Apex Legends player Seconds after dying in an Apex Legends match, Reddit user lLady_Phoenix heard the following voice line coming from an unknown source, “you like me, you really like me.” Startled, the player shared the clip in the game’s subreddit, hoping someone else could offer an explanation. Some suggestions pondered whether or not game chat constituted the source of the voice. Others attributed it to a glitch related to a character like Revenant. Fortunately, things weren’t as strange as they seemed at first blush. One user explained the voice line came from a Valkyrie teammate, specifically someone who’d just become Ratings Leader. Because the Redditor died, it’s likely the first half of Valkyrie’s quote got cut off midline. The full soundbite from the Recon Legend is as follows: “I’m the new Ratings Leader. You like me, you really like me.” Mystery solved. In addition to being startled by surprise voice lines, Apex Legends players patiently await the advent of Season 15. The new season, known as Eclipse, will arrive early next month on November 1. Most notably, users can look forward to the release of another playable Legend – Catalyst.

Apex Legends Valkyrie main has made her rocket launcher IRL – Dexerto
Apex Legends Valkyrie main has made her rocket launcher IRL Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is home to plenty of iconic tech but Valkyrie’s shoulder mounted rocket launchers are two of the game’s most impressive offerings. That’s why when an enthusiastic fan decided to recreate her setup, the internet went appropriately ballistic. Valkyrie is the queen of the skies in Apex Legends. Her kit is designed around verticality and keeping other players trapped helplessly on the ground below. The primary way she follows up on that second part is by stunning large areas with her shoulder cannons, effectively halting any attempts to get away. While all of this was just a product of the devs’ imagination at first, one dedicated Valk main has taken the idea to a whole new level. Valkyrie’s shoulder-mounted rockets in real life There have been some impressive recreations of other Apex items, but ToneIsDark has set the bar with Valkyrie’s iconic shoulder rockets. Featuring a fully controllable wrist mount to control the angle at which they launch, anyone wearing this setup could set off a wildly accurate recreation of Valk’s tactical with just a push of a button. Of course, there are still some safety concerns when dealing with advanced pyrotechnics, so it’s much safer to launch these from the ground but the fact this rig exists at all is impressive. It didn’t take long for fans of the game to drop in and compliment the design of this beast. One commenter joked that this would be perfect for the summer season, dubbing the wielder of such a machine the “July 4th Roman Candle fight champion.” Not everybody was sold on the hype though, as one player left the tech wizard with another request: “Now make her ultimate…” That would be a bit tougher to figure out but if anyone ever could it seems like Tone is a solid candidate to figure it out.

Apex Legends Valentine’s Day Rendezvous event: Duos, rewards, 2XP, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends Valentine’s Day Rendezvous event: Duos, rewards, 2XP, more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have released the first event for Apex Legends Season 4 – Valentine’s Day Rendezvous, which features the return of the fan-favorite Duos mode as well a reward and some new cosmetic items. With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, Respawn are kicking off the recently-launched Season 4 of Apex Legends with a new in-game event called Valentine’s Day Rendezvous. While not as massive as some of the events that have featured in the past, there’s still definitely some intrigue to it since it includes the popular Duos mode in which players can enjoy the game in pairs rather than be forced to play in trios. The event was originally scheduled to launch on February 11 but Respawn announced later that day that it had been postponed after the accompanying update was not showing up for most players. Instead, it will start on February 12 until February 18, although there is a chance it could be extended an extra day due to the delay. Unfortunately the Valentine’s Day Rendezvous event is postponed until tomorrow and we’ll provide updates when it goes live. Sorry for any confusion! — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 11, 2020 Throughout that time there will be a special ‘Double Up’ XP boost active that gives everyone who squads up with a friend twice the XP, up to 20,000 per day. In addition, everyone who logs on at any point during those days will receive a Valentines 2020 badge, and be able to purchase special cosmetic items that are otherwise not available throughout the year. Apex Legends Valentine’s Day Rendezvous items There will be four Valentine’s-themed cosmetic items up for sale in the in-game store during this event. Apex Legends v1.2 update gave Mirage an insane hidden buff – Dexerto
Apex Legends v1.2 update gave Mirage an insane hidden buff Respawn EntertainmentSince the game came out Apex Legends players have been wanting Mirage’s ultimate to work without its dead giveaways, and it looks like they got what they want in a big way. Respawn Entertainment has quenched their fan base’s thirst for new content when they launched a major update to their game on June 4 with the v1.2 patch. While that patch introduced an incredible new limited-time event, it also did a lot to fix some of the more burgeoning problems that players have been finding throughout the game since it released. One of those problems lied in the underwhelming Mirage ultimate Vanishing Act that’s used to “deploy a team of Decoys to distract enemies while you cloak.” Even though it worked like it’s description, the invisibility part always left players wanting more out of the ability since Mirage was still readily seen if a player looked close enough. Now players are loving the new change that “fixed (a) bug where cloaked Mirage was too noticeable,” and it’s been working in a major way. “Mirage ult is REALLY good now,” Reddit user ‘ThundeeringClaaws’ said. “The ult bugfix is a huge buff, it makes him completely invisible now! It makes you entirely invisible, no obvious outline or anything, they called it a bugfix but it’s a MASSIVE buff…” Players were a bit confused when they first encountered the new bug fix and were impressed with how the change has made Mirage live up to his name as the “Holographic Trickster.” “That is INSANE,” Reddit user ‘penguin_shit13’ said. “It’s funny because I completely forgot about it being buffed the first time I used it and I was in a situation where I just knew I was going to get killed.. but the damn Bangalore walked right past me.. I had probably 10 hp.. and blasted her in the back with a peacekeeper a few seconds later.” How to counter Mirage’s new buff It looks like Mirage mains are amped that the new patch is going to give them a better way of causing mayhem, but to even out the scales there are things to look out for when the Trickster goes invisible. Players trying to defend against Mirage’s ult should have an ear out for when he activates his Vanishing Act. Once the sound queue goes off, it’ll be difficult but pay attention to the floor as he’ll still kick up dust and water depending on the terrain. Mirage players will no doubt have a lot of fun in the near future now that his ultimate has given them a refined edge over their opponents.

Apex Legends v1.1 update patch notes – New squad up feature, Banner card improvements, and more – Dexerto
Apex Legends v1.1 update patch notes – New squad up feature, Banner card improvements, and more The latest 1.1 patch for Apex Legends rolled out on April 3, looking to further clean up the troves of bugs and cheaters that have been infesting Kings Canyon as of late, but it wasn’t the smoothest of arrivals to say the least. Respawn Entertainment are dealing with a bevy of problems affecting their players, and the latest update was supposed to introduce crucial quality of life improvements while implementing bug fixes to aspects of the Battle Pass, Banner Cards and more. After players update the client to download the latest update for the game, they’ll be introduced to highly anticipated features finally brought to the game, but some issues have been experienced as well. The devs are facing explosive bugs in the game and are looking for ways to resolve them. Account Resets Respawn were made aware that the update was causing problems right away, as many players reported a loss of progress and items attached to accounts. The developer reached out to players on Twitter and Reddit, urging players to hold off on buying or crafting any items until they found some more progress on the bug – which they soon did. The full list of fixes for this, as well as other issues, can be found at the bottom of this article. Until the issue has been resolved we recommend players do not buy or craft anything. We’ll continue to provide updates, along with an ETA, as information comes in. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) April 3, 2019 Squad Up with new Features Beyond the issue, Respawn introduced a squad up feature that will give players the option to team up with people from their last game. It’s routinely happened where a squad full of randoms somehow synergize in the heat of battle, just to get eliminated moments later. Now players don’t have to wonder “what if” to a lost random since the new feature is now going to let them invite the last two people they played with to their squad A small feature that will be immensely appreciated will be the new Mute button during the intro and squad select. Though it wasn’t the most troublesome aspect of the game, the mute button will definitely add some relief while booting up the next game. The latest update is going to let players stick with the many colorful Legends they come across in King’s Canyon. Bug relief Numerous bugs in Apex Legends are being addressed. Respawn have fixed the Battle Pass reward page bug where there wouldn’t be a default item selected, leading to a mostly blank page. Further, console players will appreciate a fix that will stop a “fatal script error” to occur when trying to use a keyboard to chat in the game. As for Banner Cards, Respawn thinks they got the issue sorted that’s been making the cards not appear during and after a match. Respawn mistakingly activated ‘leaving early’ penalty Another issue, aside from the loss of progress, that a number of Apex Legends players experienced since the arrival of this patch was being hit with a penalty for leaving matches early – an unintentional change to the game from the developer, which they have since apologized for. “So internally, we have been working on and testing this feature but it wasn’t our intention or plan to have it go live with the update that went out today,” the developer announced on Reddit. “There was a piece of script that was missing and caused the leaving match early penalty to be turned on when it shouldn’t be. That’s why it wasn’t in the patch notes.” The script has since been updated, they say, and it has since been removed across all platforms. Some fixes have already been rolled out by Respawn. Information surrounding those changes and the list of patch notes, in-full, can be found below. Apex Legends 1.1 Patch Notes The 1.1 Patch is rolling out as of 10:00am PST today and you will need to update the client to download. KNOWN ISSUES: We are aware of the reports of accounts being reset after the update. QUALITY OF LIFE Added the ability to party up with the last squad you played with. After the match you will see buttons in the lobby that display the last two people you played with and can invite them to your squad. – When you head back to the lobby after a match you will see two new buttons that show you the players in your last squad with the option to invite them for another match! You can choose to allow invites or opt out in the Friends menu. Additional behind-the-scenes improvements for squashing cheaters. – Added Mute button during the intro and Legend selection. – When using the Report Player button for PC, you now have the option of selecting Cheat or Other. – Made small improvements to the UI for customizing Legends.Added option to turn off lighting on compatible hardware [for example, Razer Chroma devices] in the Mouse/Keyboard settings. Added informative messages that appear on PC for crashes due to: – Running out of memory. – CPU errors best explained by overclocking/overheating. – Added better collision to the turrets on Supply Ships. – Stability fixes to all platforms. – BUG FIXES Fixed issue where the Battle Pass rewards page would not have a default item selected, resulting in a mostly blank page. – Fixed bug for PS4 and X1 where sometimes attempting to use a keyboard to chat could cause a fatal script error. – Fixed bug with Banner Cards not showing up during and at the end of a match. – JUMP PAD PHASE WALK INTERACTIONS Octane’s Jump Pad no longer affects players when using Into the Void ability. – Apex Legends fixes for new patch issues The 1.1 update unintentionally moved players to wrong servers and it appeared that they had lost their progress, but all progress before installing the new update is still safe and sound – Respawn says. Once the issue was found, a fix was quickly rolled out on Xbox One, and then later on other platforms. Everything players have purchased or accomplished in the game before the 1.1 patch went live should be restored. For those that spent money on Apex Legends while these issues were in-game will have the amount of currency they bought fully refunded, even if some of it was used to purchase items. Last updated on April 4.

Apex Legends v1.1.1 update patch notes – Legends and weapon balancing, Battle Pass XP event, and more – Dexerto
Apex Legends v1.1.1 update patch notes – Legends and weapon balancing, Battle Pass XP event, and more Respawn Entertainment are releasing Apex Legends is receiving a massive patch April 16 that will bring a variety of changes to the game as we know it. Apex Legends is releasing a large update on April 16 that will be balancing several of the Legends and weapons along with coming out with their first Battle Pass XP boost. There has been a lot of discussion in the community about the issues with the game currently, such as slow mo servers, but those don’t appear to be covered with this update. Major Weapon Balancing in Apex Legends The 1.1.1 update features a variety of buffs and nerfs, as Respawn aim to find the perfect balance and ‘meta’. The team previously stated that they want a ‘hierarchy’ to exist with the weapons – so not every gun is created equal. Two snipers, the G7 Scout and the Longbow DMR enjoy a healthy buff in the 1.1.1 update, with weapons’ sway reduced. Leg damage has been nerfed however, from 25% to 10%. The Longbow also gets a fire rate and mag capacity bump. The Energy AR, Havoc, also gets more ‘beams’ in the clip, and the pretty useless ‘charge beam’ (with a select fire) gets some much needed improvements. The Spitfire was a little too much, so the base damage has been reduced to only 18, down from 20, and the rather OP Wingman will now only hold four rounds rather than six. Major Legend Changes in Apex Legends The community-named Thicc Bois are each receiving buffs with this patch. Caustic and Gibraltar are two of the weakest Legends in the game so this will be good news to those who main them. Caustic’s Gas Damage is getting a buff and he has a new passive perk that will reduce his damage taken. Gibraltar receives a buff to his Gun Shield health and also gets the same passive perk that Caustic is receiving. Battle Pass bonuses There’s also some extra incentive to grind the battle pass with the 1.1.1 update, as from April 16 to April 18, your first top five finish of each day will grant you an entire battle pass level. Respawn say there will be more events like this in future too. Bug and glitch fixes Apex Legends players have been discovering a number of annoying (and some just downright funny) glitches in the game since the Season 1 update, but 1.1.1 only puts one of these right, where boost badges would display incorrect percentages. The drop ship speed has also been increased by 50%, which Respawn say is to encourage players to drop later in the flight path. Respawn announced on Reddit the update is set to release some time around 1pm EST / 10am PST. You can read the full patch notes below. LEGEND BALANCING At the start of Season 1, we previously talked about how our beloved Thicc Bois (Pathfinder, Gibraltar and Caustic) were getting crushed due to their hitbox size compared to other Legends. We first wanted to try adjusting hitboxes to better fit the model. For Pathfinder, this change worked very well. (Note: separately, we are actively investigating and working on fixing unrelated hit registration issues sometimes affecting all characters). However, after looking at the data and player feedback, Gibraltar and Caustic only improved slightly with the hitbox adjustments. We don’t believe that hit box and character kit tuning is sufficient to bring Gibraltar and Caustic in line with their smaller competitors. Starting with Patch 1.1.1, Gibraltar and Caustic will get a new perk added to their passive – Fortified**, which reduces damage taken by 10%.** Over the week or two following this change, we will be watching how they perform with this additional protection and aggressively tune it if they are still underpowered relative to their size. Our goal is to ensure both Legends are viable picks by the end of this process. Additionally, we’re also making a few quality of life kit adjustments to ensure their marquee abilities are a more impactful part of their individual playstyles. CAUSTIC: Fortified Passive Perk added: reduces damage taken by 10% – Gas Damage per tick increased: 1 -> 4 – Ultimate Throw distance increased: 28 meters -> 33 meters – GIBRALTAR: Fortified Passive Perk added: reduces damage taken by 10% – Gun Shield health increased: 50 -> 75 – WEAPON BALANCING On the weapons side of the equation, we’ve made a number of changes to try to improve the power of long range gameplay. We’re reducing leg shot damage reductions on sniper category weapons, so you’re not punished for landing inaccurate shots at long distances. Given the semi-auto and low damage nature of our current sniper suite, coupled with the general speed and evasiveness of many Legend kits, it already takes several challenging shots to down someone at range. Because of this difficult sniper environment, we’re also reducing general sniper weapon sway and hitting the DMR with a few targeted buffs to make it more viable to engage Legends at range. Separately from the sniper category, we are nerfing the Spitfire a bit, but our goal is to still keep it strong, as it’s a rarer spawning weapon. The Wingman is receiving a few magazine size nerfs, so that it doesn’t dominate the stock gun vs. stock gun battle early on due to its super high damage per bullet. Lastly, the Havoc is getting some general ammo and charge beam buffs to bring it in line as a viable energy ammo AR that competes with the R-301 and Flatine/Hemlok. The end goal is that the Havoc pressures a player’s ability to find Energy ammo, but is less dependent on finding attachments, whereas the R-301 and Flatline/Hemlok have less ammo pressure, but a higher reliance on finding more attachments to achieve power. G7 SCOUT / TRIPLE TAKE / LONGBOW DMR Lowered leg shot damage reduction: 25% -> 10% – Reduced base weapon sway by about 33% – Reduced base sway speed by about 25% – – LONGBOW DMR Increased fire rate 1.2 -> 1.6 – Increased magazine size Base mag increased: 5 -> 6 rounds – Common mag extender increased: 6 -> 8 rounds – Rare mag extender increased: 8 -> 10 rounds – Epic mag extender increased: 10 -> 12 rounds – – – HAVOC Increased base magazine size: 25 -> 32 rounds – Charge Beam Reduced cost per shot: 5 -> 4 – Increased close range damage: 55 -> 60 – Increased damage at range: 45 -> 50 – Close range damage falloff increased: 35m -> 75m – Ranged damage falloff increased: 75m -> 125m – – – WINGMAN Reduced magazine size Base mag reduced: 6 -> 4 rounds – Common mag extender reduced: 8 -> 6 rounds – Rare mag extender reduced: 9 -> 8 rounds – Epic mag extender reduced: 12 -> 10 rounds – – – Reduced magazine size – SPITFIRE Reduced base damage: 20 -> 18 – Magazine extender attachments reduced Common mag extender reduced: 45 -> 40 rounds – Rare mag extender reduced: 55 -> 45 rounds – Eprc mag extender reduced: 60 -> 55 rounds – – – ADJUSTMENTS TO GOLD WEAPON ATTACHMENTS: Gold Havoc Now has Turbocharger – Now has 1x-2x variable holo site – – Gold R301 Now has 1x-2x variable holo site – – Gold Wingman Now has digital threat – – BATTLE PASS XP BONUS EVENT: In honor of Thicc-boi buffs, we’re going to be running a bonus Battle Pass XP event. From approximately 10AM PST 4/16 through approximately 10AM PST 4/18, your first Top 5 of the day (your squad places 5th or better in a match) will grant you 1 full bonus Battle Pass Level (29,500 BPP), up to a max of level 110. You can earn this once per day. We’ll also be finding other moments during the season to add Battle Pass XP bonuses, so stay tuned! ADDITIONAL CHANGES JUMP SHIP SPEED Increased the speed of the ship by about 50% We felt that the ship was moving a bit too slow after watching player behavior so we’re speeding it up so players that like to drop later in the flight path don’t have to wait so long. – – – Increased the speed of the ship by about 50% – BUG FIXES Fixed UI bug where the wrong percentage would be displayed for all boost badges. – –

Apex Legends players want upgraded ping system to improve looting – Dexerto
Apex Legends players want upgraded ping system to improve looting RespawnApex Legends players are hoping that Respawn Entertainment will hear their calls and add an extra set of pings for getting upgrades to weapons and armor. Apex is going strong after the release of Season 3: Meltdown, with fans coming back to Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale to get their hands on a flood of new seasonal content. A new map, a new legend in Crypto, and new weapons are usually easy winners to get players on-board, however, some are still calling for changes. Specifically, they want to have in-game pings and voice lines to ask for better equipment – just like they do when they find items in drops, boxes, or even just on the ground. The idea was floated on the Apex Legends subreddit by user caiine, who stated that pinging equipped items should trigger a call for needing higher levels. “Sometimes I want to tell my teammates that I’m still looking for a backpack level 2 or heavy ammo magazine level 2 or higher, but I always have to type that out,” the player posted. They also added that it would be a “nice feature,” and something to improve the game’s quality of life – which the developers have made strides to change in the past. While some may assume that the other fans would shoot down the idea and suggest using a mic or continue on typing out the request, that wasn’t the case. One Redditor, PhoenixDaddy, added: “Gonna get a bunch of ‘use mic’ comments, but I’m with you. The worst is having a 1X sight on your sniper, and having to take it off to ask for sniper optics.” Another, Rexiel44, even took the idea up a level: “Agreed, and pinging a hop-up should say ‘I need x weapon or y weapon’ that goes with that hop-up.” As the Respawn team hasn’t been averse to adding quality of life changes that fans have suggested in the past, they could very well find a way to make this happen in-game. However, it joins a growing list of requests from fans who want to see changes made to looting on console in order to put them in equal standing with PC players.

Apex Legends update targets cheaters with new Ranked party restrictions – Dexerto
Apex Legends update targets cheaters with new Ranked party restrictions RespawnApex Legends’ devs have rolled out an update that targets cheaters with new Ranked Party restrictions to stop hackers from quickly getting into high-ranked lobbies. Throughout Season 20, Apex has had a massive wake-up regarding its hacking problem as it was highlighted on its biggest stage. And as the devs move past the hack, a new update has been rolled out to further curb cheaters. Announced by Respawn on April 8, the devs were rolling out a new update that adds new Ranked party restrictions which should help stop cheaters from easily queuing into high-ranked lobbies. “Ranked parties now have a limit of a 3-rank tier difference between players,” Respawn wrote about the new update. Additionally, they fixed several issues with Ranked badges, connection errors, and bugs with the update. With this update, it should make it harder for cheaters looking to ruin high-level lobbies to do so as it means a low-rank account can’t exactly queue with and into a Master and Apex Predator lobby. However, the new Ranked party restrictions are not the only steps Respawn could take to curb cheaters in Ranked as raising the level requirement for Ranked back up to 50 could make it harder for cheaters. As Cloud9’s pro player Naughty outlined, “This should help the cheater issue as opposed to just raising the level cap for Ranked back to 50 (which will fix it entirely).” Although he says he’ll take “anything we can get” update-wise. Respawn’s new roll of consistent updates to curb cheaters and bolster the game’s security comes after the ALGS NA Finals was disrupted by a hack that caused concerns about the game’s security and its rampant cheating problem.

Apex Legends update tackles DDoS attacks with loss forgiveness and bans – Dexerto
Apex Legends update tackles DDoS attacks with loss forgiveness and bans Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment are taking a firmer stance against DDoS attacks, releasing an update that grants loss forgiveness to all players involved in affected matches and announcing further ban measures. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are nightmarish ways to ruin a multiplayer game, as they constitute overloading someone’s server to interfere with their experience. Following earlier efforts to “crack down” on those attacks, Respawn Entertainment is now taking further steps to protect Apex Legends players and punish hackers. In a June 10 tweet, Respawn announced that they’re launching a same-day update that should help players impacted by DDoS interferences while simultaneously laying out more bans against the perpetrators. The primary measure to protect players in this instance is “loss forgiveness,” where DDoSed players won’t take losses or drops in their statistics in games that have been unfairly interrupted. A complementary measure is to punish the interrupters. We’ve just shipped an update to address denial-of-service attacks on @playapex. Now, when we detect an attack, all players will be booted from the game and granted loss forgiveness. The idea is to deny advantages to attackers and protect victims of those attacks from RP losses. — Respawn (@Respawn) June 10, 2021 As seen in Respawn’s tweet, when DDoS attacks are registered during a match “all players will be booted from the game and granted loss forgiveness.” While that means players can’t get to finish out their match, at least it ensures they don’t suffer a loss for it. Additionally, Respawn’s Lead Designer Chin Xiang Chong put out a subsequent tweet explaining the punishment side of this update. They elaborated that more bans will be laid out. On top of this we’ve also been banning people identified with DoSing our servers. More fixes will also come in future updates. https://t.co/Y0Ylxm6cOq — Chin Xiang Chong 张晋翔 (@tangentiallogic) June 10, 2021 In both tweets, the devs indicate that more measures are coming into play in the future. This is likely an encouraging sign for Apex Legends players, as it suggests the work isn’t done and that cheaters will continue to be dealt with. Overall, community feedback on Twitter has been positive thus far — with players noting that they’re grateful for the efforts and that this is all a step in the right direction.

Apex Legends update patch notes: Season 6 Armor changes reverted – Dexerto
Apex Legends update patch notes: Season 6 Armor changes reverted Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have done a U-Turn on their major change to Armor health in Season 6, reverting it to its previous values, after feedback from players. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] At the start of Season 6, Apex Legends made some major changes to armor, making all armor on the map Evolving, while also reducing the amount of health each armor level added. This had a major impact on gameplay, as it reduced the time-to-kill (TTK) across the board. This split the community immediately, and in response to the feedback, this decision has been reverted. Respawn’s Jason McCord explained that they originally made the decision during internal playtesting, but once it was out in the wild, the feedback from players made them have a rethink. Bug fixes This update also includes a series of bug fixes that should address some of the community’s primary concerns since Season 6 launched. This includes the very frustrating bug that prevented Loba’s teleport ability from actually working, mainly on World’s Edge, as it simply wouldn’t teleport her in many cases. There’s also a fix for the exploit that allowed Gibraltar’s dome to be placed on top of Rampart’s mini-gun, making for a very overpowered combo. Apex Legends September 3 patch notes General Fixed several server crashes. – Made adjustments to the appearance of several holosprays. – Removed an inappropriate Caustic voice line. – Audio Fixed an issue with audio not playing when shooting the Devotion and Volt. – Fixed an issue where Crypto’s drone in Caustic gas would play to the whole server – Fixed marking crafting replicators from the ship playing a “Let’s go here” VO ping. – Replicators Fixed an issue with Evo Shields that require exactly 100 damage not evolving when crafting the 100 points. – Fixed an issue with Ninja controller configuration not being able to use Replicators. – Fixed an issue with not being able to revive a teammate when they are downed while using a replicator. – Gibraltar Fixed an issue with Dome Shield on a Sheila allowing a player to shoot through the Dome Shield. – Rampart Fixed an issue with the “No Mercy” finisher spamming “Boom” to the entire server. – Fixed an issue with amped cover walls requiring more hits from heirlooms than from normal melee to be destroyed. – Fixed a server crash when Sheila is destroyed while someone is using it. – Crypto Fixed an issue with Hack not detecting players on Sheila. – Wraith Fixed an issue with the portal disappearing upon Wraith’s death. – Fixed a crash with Wraith’s portal interacting with World’s Edge geysers. – Fixed an error when Wraith’s portal is too close to a replicator and the player interacts with the replicator. – Loba Fixed an issue that caused Loba’s teleport to fail in certain areas. –

Apex Legends July 13 update patch notes: Loba bracelet & Wraith hit-reg fix, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends July 13 update patch notes: Loba bracelet & Wraith hit-reg fix, more Respawn EntertainmentHere’s the complete Apex Legends patch notes, including a fix Loba’s glitchy tactical ability while addressing the hit-reg issues with Wraith after using her abilities There’s been ample rallying calls to get Loba’s tactical ability fixed, seeing as it’s caused a few headaches when trying to use it across the game. It got to the point where Loba players showed up to the ALGS Championship to ask the devs to fix it in person. Respawn Entertainment have been seeing the pleas and have moved on a fix to the Legend, and players are hoping this will be the last they see of the issue. The studio put out a hotfix update to reign in the problem along with a couple other key issues, like Wraith’s hit-reg bugs, that have been plaguing the game. Loba bracelet bug fix It’s been a struggle as of late for Loba players who’ve been contending with her broken bracelet that doesn’t latch on to the map. This makes the tactical return to the player and not at all work as intended. There’ve been a couple different episodes of Loba’s wonky tactical ability across different maps, but this time Respawn thinks it’s nailed the problem. With the latest update, players should see the bracelet act more consistent to how they expect it to work, but the devs are sure to monitor the situation in case there’s issues. Wraith hit-reg issues Apex Legends players have been finding Wraiths affected with hit-reg problems that the Legend can apparently conjure at whim using her abilities. The devs believe they’ve found a solution to the issues which should make hitting her work as usual. Players had reported that by using her Into the Void tactical, the character would be impossible to hit when coming out of the ability. Apex Legends update 1.97 patch notes: Ranked Rewards fix, Armories exploit – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.97 patch notes: Ranked Rewards fix, Armories exploit Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have pushed out a few hotfixes in the Apex Legends June 7 update that comes with brief patch notes addressing the Armories clipping exploit while also issuing the correct Ranked Rewards for players. In the aftermath of the Ranked Reloaded overhaul, Respawn Entertainment have been at work to patch out all of the biggest issues that have been cropping up since the last update. Though the June 7 update omits any major balance updates, there’s still plenty of pertinent gameplay bugs and exploits that need amending. It’s for that reason that the studio released both a client and server patch for errors pertaining to the new Armories and Newcastle’s ultimate. There’s a few more issues that the Apex update aimed to resolve which should make a few gameplay aspects smoother overall. Apex Legends Armories exploit fix The new Apex Armories were supposed to be secured hubs that single teams could access, but there were a couple snags that made them act out. For example, people have been able to clip grenades and even Ash ults into the Armories ceiling. That isn’t something that was meant to happen with the enclosures, so Respawn set it in its sights in the latest update. Along with a few other tweaks, the studio hopes that Armories will work properly with the June 7 update hitting the live servers. Apex Ranked Rewards addressed Some Apex Legends players noticed that they weren’t awarded with the correct Rank cosmetics for dive trails, holosprays and the like. Respawn caught wind of the issue and included a fix in the June 7 update and players should start to see the correct items in the inventories soon. Players shouldn’t experience any downtime, and you can get a complete look at the Apex Legends June 7 patch update below, courtesy of Respawn. Apex Legends June 7 update patch notes Improper Ranked rewards: the correct dive trails, holosprays, gun charms, and badges will start rolling out to players throughout the day – IMC Armories: exploits related to clipping through the rook, a mantling bug after teleporting in, and various script errors – Fixing the occasional server-wide thud sound related to Newcastle’s ultimate – Resolving next-gen Xbox audio distortion – Various script errors –

Apex Legends update fixes Season 16’s “major audio and VFX drops” – Dexerto
Apex Legends update fixes Season 16’s “major audio and VFX drops” Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has told the community a hotfix has been sent out for the game’s “major” audio and VFX issues that have affected Season 16. With Apex Legends Season 17 on the horizon, developer Respawn Entertainment undoubtedly has a lot on its plate behind the scenes. However, the community has continuously voiced its frustration over the current state of the game — with many fans calling out the various audio issues that have been affecting the battle royale. Now, Respawn has confirmed that they’ve sent out a fix to address the “major” audio and VFX issues that fans have noticed throughout Season 16. Respawn issues fix for “major” Apex Legends audio problems Confirmation came from Respawn’s official Twitter account on April 26, 2023, which said, “A @PlayApex fix has been deployed for major audio and VFX drops seen since the launch of Season 16.” Respawn goes on to say that the team shared the frustration of the playerbase and acknowledged that “while this won’t resolve all audio and visual concerns” that fans have noticed, the team is “dedicated to improving awareness on the battlefield.” For those wondering whether or not the update was in the works or already live, Respawn confirmed that the update is “live now” for players to go and download. The tweet was generally met with positivity from the community, including the likes of Apex Legends streamers and content creators. NICKMERCS, who confirmed that Respawn was looking into the audio issues the day before the fix was implemented, replied to the tweet with a series of W’s to show his appreciation. Fellow Apex content creator HisWattson said, “Thank you for your transparency and communication.” Though Respawn acknowledged this update won’t be the end of audio issues for Apex Legends, hopefully, it will smooth out the play experience ahead of Season 17’s impending release.

Apex Legends update 1.56 fixes crashes and skin bugs: January 14 patch notes – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.56 fixes crashes and skin bugs: January 14 patch notes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have pushed a new update, patch 1.56, for Apex Legends on January 14 to address the mass freezes in the game since the Fight Night update, along with fixes for crashes associated with clicking on Steam’s friends list, errors with “Haute Drop” and “Gold Standard” skins and more. At the turn of the year, the mid-season event update gave players loads of new content and cosmetics to sift through, ushering in the third year of Apex. However, concerns started to mount as people reported instances of the game stalling or just flat-out crashing. Admittedly, the problem was tricky for the studio “to pin down consistently, but we are hopeful that we have addressed most of the cases where it happens,” as explained by Respawn. The Apex team apologized that the fix took them a bit to manage, but their new patch will hopefully remedy most of the issues that we’ve seen so far in 2021. Goooood morning Legends! Apologies it took this long, the dev team was really thrown for a loop with this one. We’re going to keep monitoring to make sure we nipped it in the bud. 😅 https://t.co/EC9Ul4B4x2 — Alex Ackerman🌙 (@alex_frostwolf) January 14, 2021 “Apologies it took this long, the dev team was really thrown for a loop with this one. We’re going to keep monitoring to make sure we nipped it in the bud,” Senior Social Media Manager Alex ‘frostwolf’ Ackerman said. The Fight Night update came out on January 5 and there wasn’t that long of a turnaround for the devs to come up with a fix a little over a week later. Still, players affected by the problems must have been counting down the days since the persistence of most freezes could curtail gameplay for hours on end. Luckily, these won’t be issues that people will have to contend with for long if the new update pulls through, but Respawn will keep an eye on it in case there are still loose ends to clear up. With Season 8 on the horizon, any more problems that should arise will have a chance to be fixed in that update or, if it’s pressing enough like the crashes, will come well before the new chapter of Apex. The full list of changes from the January 14 patch notes can be seen below: We’ve pushed out a patch that improves stability and (hopefully) fixes the freezing issues. This issue in particular has been tricky for us to pin down consistently, but we are hopeful that we have addressed most of the cases where it happens. – Additionally, the patch also provides a fix for the following: Issues with event skins “Haute Drop” and “Gold Standard” – Errors with clicking on Steam friends list – Text chat issues with Steam – Several Clubs-related issues –

Apex Legends update fixes broken Loba and Wraith abilities – Dexerto
Apex Legends update fixes broken Loba and Wraith abilities Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have issued a number of bug fixes for the Apex Legends roster, as notable glitches that hampered Loba and Wraith’s abilities were addressed in the September 3 patch. Wraith and Loba are both some of the more popular Legends in the cast. But lately, players have been cautious of them since crucial abilities in their kit have been going astray in the Arena. For one, Loba’s bracelet ability, Burglar’s Best Friend, hasn’t been exactly functioning around the game, causing it to “fail in certain areas.” Since the tactical is how Loba stays mobile during rotations or firefights, it was a nuisance when players came across the glitch. Wraith’s Portals have also been having issues, particularly a couple that caused her Interdimensional Rift ultimate ability to disappear upon death, errors when it’s used too close to a replicator, or interactions with the geysers that bugged up Apex Legends altogether. In both Legends’ instances, the bugs have been a part of longstanding problems with the characters and Respawn are taking another stab at finally putting their problems to rest. In early July, Respawn game director Jason McCord explained why issues with Loba’s bracelet would occur on World’s Edge. A problem that he attributed to the different “triggers” that appear on that map as opposed to the ones that made up Kings Canyon. The problem with Loba almost persuaded McCord to “turn her off in character select” until they were able to ship the fix. They decided against it at the time because the company had a holiday near the time a solution was being worked on. Both the Apex community and the Respawn devs will hope these patches stick, to avoid any further complications with Loba’s teleporting bracelet. As for Wraith, Apex dev Josh Medina caught wind of reports that took away her Portals in late August. This is a quick turnaround for the studio which started looking for ways to reproduce the bug at that time. Respawn will be monitoring the new Apex fixes to see how effective the patch is, so players should be on the lookout for recurring problems after the update.

Apex Legends update breaks Wattson & Pathfinder abilities by not placing anywhere – Dexerto
Apex Legends update breaks Wattson & Pathfinder abilities by not placing anywhere Respawn EntertainmentThe Warriors update in Apex Legends appears to have broken a lot of placeable abilities in the game, including Wattson’s fences and Pathfinder’s zipline. Apex Legends’ Warriors Collection event arrived on March 29, reintroducing the 9v9 Control mode and of course, adding Crypto’s incredible Biwon Blade Heirloom. Despite this, a lot of players have been running into issues with placeable abilities since the patch went live, including Pathfinder’s zipline, Wattson’s fences, and Rampart’s walls. For whatever reason, the indicator will remain permanently red, making it impossible to place down the object. As the majority of these abilities are fundamental elements of these Legends’ kits, it’s making it hard for these characters to compete in matches. Placeable ability bug makes certain Legends useless Following the Warriors update, a lot of the community has been finding it impossible to put down placeable abilities on the map. This is a huge problem for Legends like Wattson, whose Ultimate and Tactical require her to place down a device. As shown by Vikan12 on the Apex Legends subreddit, no matter where they attempt to position the Interception Pylon or the fences, they simply refuse to activate. It’s worth noting that the majority of the clips being shared when it comes to this bug are taking place on Storm Point, so it’s possible it’s related to the map, but nothing has been confirmed by the devs. This glitch is not limited to Wattson and seems to be occurring with every placeable ability in the game that includes an indicator. Reddit user Raka864 shared a video of them attempting to use Pathfinder’s zipline, but the ability just refuses to work. While there has been no explanation from Respawn on why this glitch is happening, it’s definitely linked to the recent Warriors patch. Luckily, a dev responded to a Twitter post on March 30 confirming that the bug is being reviewed by the team, so it’s possible a fix is implemented soon. It’s safe to say this isn’t a minor issue as it affects the majority of Legends on the roster, so Respawn will need to resolve this problem as soon as possible. In the meantime, it may be worth sticking to characters like Bloodhound, Mirage, and Wraith, as you’ll avoid being affected by this frustrating glitch.

Apex Legends update 1.77 patch notes: Prowler & L-STAR nerf, Arenas price changes – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.77 patch notes: Prowler & L-STAR nerf, Arenas price changes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment shipped a few key changes on August 10 with the Apex Legends 1.78 update that fixed some bugs with Seer’s abilities. The company also said they’ll be nerfing the Prowler and L-Star, while raising prices for them in Arenas. Both weapons getting nerfed looked like instant favorites after the Season 10: Emergence update. People knew that the L-Star would get more attention this time around, which gave the studio plenty of info for some balances. However, a minor update has already launched in Apex that addressed early concerns with Seer and a bizarre interaction that occurred with Fuse and Wattson. Respawn likes to get an early handle on Apex’s game-state in the early portion of every season, and this time is no exception. Apex Legends update 1.77 – August 10 Seer bug fix We’ve just shipped a minor @playapex update that: 🪲 Fixes bugs with Seer’s abilities 💣 Solves a script error that was sometimes triggered by an interaction between Fuse’s ult and Wattson’s ult(1/2) — Respawn (@Respawn) August 10, 2021 Seer had a really strong debut in the power rankings when he arrived in Apex. But he’s been dominating the Season 10 meta, so the devs are looking into balance changes to ultimately nerf Seer soon. While we wait for those changes to come, Respawn are fixing some issues that have cropped up with the new Legend. There’s a few bugs with Seer that would be best if it were addressed, but the studio seems like they’re hot on the case to iron out any problems. Prowler, L-Star nerfs Later today we’ll also ship a quick balance patch that: ⬇️ Reduces Prowler damage from 15>14 🔫 Reduces speed while ADSing with the L-Star 🧊 Fixes a map hole near Climatizer 💰 Raises prices for the Prowler and L-Star in ArenasA balance pass on Seer is planned for next week! — Respawn (@Respawn) August 10, 2021 Ever since the start of the Season 10 update, there’s been calls from the community to nerf the Prowler. Now that the Prowler is out of the supply drops, people have been calling it OP and want some tweaks to it. Respawn will test the waters with an upcoming update that will slightly reduce its damage from 15 down to 14, to see if that should help the problem. Meanwhile, the L-Star has been causing mayhem lately and the devs are likewise experimenting with smaller changes to see how they affect the weapon. For now, ADSing with the L-Star is going to get slower. Both weapons will also see an increase in price for Arenas. They’re still going to be really great options to run with, so Respawn wants to readjust the prices for buying into the guns. With most balance changes to Seer coming next week, Respawn are making sure to get out small fixes now to help the game’s state. Take a look at the complete patch notes for the Apex Legends 1.78 update down below. Apex Legends 1.78 patch notes The following was posted by Respawn: Fixes bugs with Seer’s abilities – Solves a script error that was sometimes triggered by an interaction between Fuse’s ult and Wattson’s ult – Later today we’ll also ship a quick balance patch that: Reduces Prowler damage from 15>14 – Reduces speed while ADSing with the L-Star – Fixes a map hole near Climatizer – Raises prices for the Prowler and L-Star in Arenas –

Apex Legends update 1.99 patch notes: Town Takeover change and more – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.99 patch notes: Town Takeover change and more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn released update 1.99 for Apex Legends which seems to have fixed various issues the development team was investigating. Apex Legends players have been calling for Respawn to address a variety of issues plaguing the game, such as input lag affecting Xbox Series X gameplay. Apex Legends’ 1.98 patch came with the release of the Awakening Collection Event, but a variety of issues and bugs, unfortunately, followed suit. Now, Respawn has rolled out a very small patch which seems to have fixed a handful of smaller issues players have brought to the team’s attention as of late. Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes Respawn has yet to release official patch notes for the 1.99 update, but there are a few things some players have confirmed online about the patch. For one, it seems Respawn has slightly tweaked Lifeline’s Town Takeover POI on Olympus, as players can now interact with the drum set and guitars around the building to play music. Additionally, Twitter user ‘KralRindo‘ claims they’ve noticed changes to Newcastle’s tactical ability as well as some sort of Replicator change that isn’t confirmed just yet. While Respawn claimed to be investigating recent issues such as Loba’s tactical not working on Stormpoint or Xbox players having issues with their mics, it’s yet to be confirmed if those issues have been addressed. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1542558646516727810 https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1542578469418291203?s=21&t=Z6xz4UoKiB3TbzgIRUaryg Unfortunately, it seems that Xbox Series X players are still experiencing input lag according to Reddit user ‘O2UK8120’ who claimed the 1.99 update “definitely has not fixed the input lag in the slightest.” Additionally, Respawn is still investigating the ongoing issues involving Wraith’s hit-reg, though it’s unknown if that bug was fixed in the 1.99 update either. Official patch notes for update 1.99 seem unlikely, as the team doesn’t usually post patch notes for updates this small.

Apex Legends update 1.94 patch notes: Wattson & Pathfinder fix, next-gen fixes, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.94 patch notes: Wattson & Pathfinder fix, next-gen fixes, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends update 1.89 has arrived with a good number of changes aimed to improve gameplay on Storm Point as well as fixing a bug with Bangalore’s special story event. Respawn Entertainment has delivered a handful of different improvements to Apex Legends in patch 1.94. In the same vein as the April 4 update, this patch takes aim at the quality of life fixes on next-gen consoles as well as fixing problems with Wattson and Pathfinder abilities on Storm Point. What changed in Apex Legends’ April 11 update? The patch notes specifically note a fix for third-party controllers on Xbox Series X|S, as well as general improvements for the Control game mode and Bangalore’s story event. After completing the Williams family special, players should no longer be getting locked into 70 FOV when loading back into other areas of the game. On top of that, Pathfinder and Wattson mains should find Storm Point much easier to play now that both legends’ abilities are fully functional on the map again for the first time since the Warriors update. Apex Legends update 1.94 patch notes A number of issues were addressed by the patch, including: Issues with placeable abilities on Storm Point. – Third-party controllers not working on Xbox Series X|S. – Various next-gen console, Control, and Bangalore Story Event fixes. – Just pushed a @PlayApex update to address: -Issues with placeable abilities on Storm Point. -Third-party controllers not working on Xbox Series X|S. -Various next-gen console, Control, and Bangalore Story Event fixes.— Respawn (@Respawn) April 11, 2022 While not boasting any heavy-hitting changes to the game, the last two patches should improve the gameplay experience across the board by getting these legends back in the fight with their full kit intact.

Apex Legends update 1.93 patch notes: Wattson, Pathfinder, Rampart ability fixes – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.93 patch notes: Wattson, Pathfinder, Rampart ability fixes Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends patch 1.93 is here and aims to fix several bugs that have appeared in the time since the Warriors collection event update, including breaking abilities on Storm Point. Respawn has been tweaking legends since the start of Season 12, and in update 1.93 devs are finally taking care of issues that have been affecting Rampart, Wattson and Pathfinder in particular. After the Warriors Collection event update, players using these legends noticed that it was sometimes impossible to place down their abilities anywhere on Storm Point, effectively making them useless. Thankfully, devs at Respawn were quick on the case, and a fix for this should have been deployed in the 1.93 update. Unfortunately, Respawn has not listed all the changes in this update, but we can deduce what may have been included thanks to their trello board. One other important fix was with Loba and Revenant’s Ultimates no longer blocking doors. Devs confirmed this change was unintentional, and so hopefully, they’ve followed through with their promise to fix it in update 1.93. Based on fixes scheduled on the official Apex trello, here’s the predicted patch notes: Apex 1.93 update patch notes Fix for abilities not being placed on Storm Point – Fix for heirlooms or some weapons results in reaching the maximum velocity on a zipline slower than usual. – Fix for Loba and Rev Ultimate no longer blocking doors. – Fix for Twitch Drops disappearing from accounts. – Fix for players being able to close a Wraith and Ash portals by placing her Ultimate in the same spot the portal was placed. – We’ll update this article if Respawn releases full patch notes for the update, but so far, they haven’t done so, meaning players will need to test out if all these fixes made it in to the update.

The March 1 update is another attempt at quelling some of the biggest issues in Apex Legends, as it concerns FPS drops, as well as what might be causing issues for the title’s program. Apex Legends update 1.89 patch notes: FPS issues, Prestige skin fix, Control leaver penalty – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.89 patch notes: FPS issues, Prestige skin fix, Control leaver penalty Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends 1.89 update is live and Respawn Entertainment are pushing a swarm of fixes for the recent FPS issues plaguing console players along with a fix for Bloodhound’s Prestige skin challenges. Season 12 Defiance loaded the battle royale with a ton of new cosmetics and weapon changes. But some issues started slipping through the cracks of the game’s systems, leaving some people worse for wear. That’s resulted in problematic frame rate issues that would hinder Apex console players. Then there was a bug that made it frustrating to complete the Bloodhound Prestige skin challenges. Bloodhound Prestige skin challenge fix In less than a week from acknowledging the Bloodhound Prestige skin challenge bug, Respawn have already hit the community with a potential fix for the problem. Some players would find that the damage counter for the Bloodhound Prestige skin challenges would randomly reset, making it a tall order to complete. Respawn expect this issue to now be resolved so that players can properly evolve the Season 12 skin to its ultimate form. Control leaver penalty The standout addition of Season 12, Control mode, has been experiencing a problem with Apex players leaving before the game is done. Respawn are trying to mitigate leavers by adding a new leaver penalty in the mode to prevent lopsided teams. This should make people think twice before abandoning the Control LTM. Apex frame rate bug The devs have been trying to resolve the Apex Legends FPS issues that players are reportedly facing on console. Respawn’s February 22 update will be “the first of several” patches that will address the FPS problem. The hope is that the patch resolves some of the occurrences while the engineers find a meaningful fix. Apex Legends update 1.85 patch notes: Controller ping bug, Rampage exploit, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.85 patch notes: Controller ping bug, Rampage exploit, more Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends 1.85 patch notes update is Respawn’s attempt to quell disruptive issues in the battle royale, including the ping bug affecting controller players and the Rampage exploit that retained Thermites. After the Raiders Collection Event patch, Respawn noticed there were a few glitches that were getting used throughout different matches. As more people tried and succeeded in replicating the bugs, it led to competitive imbalances in the battle royale. Apex’s console community was affected by a problem with pings that wouldn’t mark deathboxes or Loba’s Black Market. It’s these kinds of issues that devs typically want to address as quickly as they can and the studio hopes the Apex 1.85 patch will go a long way in achieving that. Apex Legends controller ping bug After today, Apex Legends players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch should be able to ping deathboxes and Loba’s ultimate like normal. Player complaints indicated a growing frustration among squads who couldn’t efficiently help each other loot up or mark an object of interest due to the bug. Respawn are going to see if this patch will fix all the issues pertaining to controller pings and will adjust as necessary. Rampage, Sentinels exploit fix After addressing the “infinite charge” bug on the Sentinel and Rampage, Respawn are putting those weapons back under the microscope to iron out a new exploit. To charge up these weapons, you need to give up a Shield Cell or Thermite for the Sentinel and Rampage, respectively. But some people were getting away with charging their weapons without expending an item. Read more: How to change reticle colors in Apex Legends – That should now be a problem of the past with the Apex 1.85 patch directly taking aim to snuff out the exploit. The December 16 patch wasn’t an extensive overhaul to Apex Legends but did bring some fixes desperately needed in the battle royale. Take a full look at the small update patch notes below. Apex Legends 1.85 update patch notes A variety of client and server errors – Custom reticle colors resetting in some instances – Controller players being unable to ping in deathboxes or Loba’s Black Market – An exploit to retain cells/thermite used while charging the Rampage or Sentinel – An issue with the Wave Shift Wraith skin –

Apex Legends November 5 patch notes: Triple Take & EVA-8 nerfed, G7 Scout buffs – Dexerto
Apex Legends November 5 patch notes: Triple Take & EVA-8 nerfed, G7 Scout buffs Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have shipped a surprise Apex Legends patch on November 5. The patch notes list out changes to the Triple Take, EVA-8 Auto, and the G7 Scout — three weapons which were adjusted in the Season 11 launch. Apex Legends Season 11 has gotten off to an explosive start with new Legend Ash, the Storm Point map, and plenty of other changes. However, just days after its launch, Respawn has quickly shipped out a patch to bring some of the game’s weapons in line. The new C.A.R. SMG hasn’t been touched, but the Triple Take, EVA-8 Auto, and G7 Scout are in line for changes. Here’s what’s coming in the latest Apex Legends patch, which went live on November 5. What’s coming in Apex Legends’ November 5 update? Triple Take and EVA-8 nerfed as Season 11 changes miss mark Both the Triple Take and EVA-8 Auto underwent major changes in Apex Legends Season 11. The former was shifted back to ground, and was reworked back into being an Energy Marksman Rifle, while the shotgun was hit with a fire rate nerf. Both ‘nerfs’ weren’t enough however. So, Respawn are shipping some extra nerfs to each gun in the hotfix. The EVA-8 Auto’s damage per pellet has been reduced from 7 to 6. This means a maximum burst can now do 54 damage to the body, instead of 63. Combined with the fire rate nerf bringing the shotgun back to pre-Season 8 levels, other guns might rise in its place. “It’s much more forgiving than the Mastiff [or Peacekeeper], and the damage differential doesn’t seem as wide as it should be when considering the others,” developer John ‘JayBiebs’ Larson said. The Triple Take’s headshot multiplier has been dropped from 2 to 1.75 to bring it “in line with other Marksman [weapons].” 🔹TT from 2.0 to 1.75, in line with other Marksman. 🔹EVA from 7 to 6. It’s much more forgiving than Mastiff/PK, and the damage differential doesn’t seem as wide as it should be when considering the others. 🔹Scout needs some extra ammo as the signature mid/long range suppressor. https://t.co/95JRZF8w8g— JayBiebs (@RSPN_JayBiebs) November 6, 2021 G7 Scout buffed further after Care Package shift For those disappointed by the G7 Scout’s shift into Care Packages in Apex Legends Season 11, the fan-favorite marksman rifle is getting a handy buff. Respawn determined the 80 ammo count for the weapon was too low, almost doubling it to 140 in the hotfix. They have also increased the headshot multiplier to 2 to give it more of a Care Package gun feel. “[The] Scout needs some extra ammo as the signature mid/long range suppressor,” JayBiebs said. Some bug fixes were also shipped, including removing the Double Tap Trigger hop-up from crafting, and removing a kill trigger covering holes around maps. You can find the full Apex Legends November 5 patch notes below. Apex Legends November 5 patch notes Weapon Changes EVA-8 Auto Pellet damage reduced from 7 to 6 – G7 Scout Ammo reserves increased from 80 to 140 – Headshot multiplier increased from 1.75 to 2 – Triple Take Headshot multiplier decreased from 2 to 1.75 – Bug fixes Removed Double Tap hop-up from crafting – Removed a kill trigger that covered some holes where players could fall underneath the map – Re-enabled Firing Range third-person easter egg –

Apex Legends update 1.71 brings back leaver penalties for Arenas – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.71 brings back leaver penalties for Arenas Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends update today, version 1.71, has returned the leaver penalties for Arenas which were removed due to bugs. When Arenas launched at the start of season 9, the new mode was somewhat ruined by players constantly leaving the match early, leaving teammates in 2v3 or 1v3 situations. In an effort to stop this, Respawn implemented a leaver penalty, which gives players who leave early a matchmaking cooldown, typically for 10 minutes. Although this certainly worked to discourage quitters, it was quite buggy in its first iteration, and was giving players penalties for leaving after the game had finished. Respawn quickly took action by removing penalties altogether while they could fix the issues. On June 3, one week after the penalties were removed, the feature has been reinstated in Apex Legends – meaning leaving an Arenas match early will result in a matchmaking cooldown. Read More: Apex Legends pick rates in Season 9 – Hopefully, this time around, it won’t punish players simply leaving the match after it’s already finished. Respawn’s director of comms, Ryan Rigney, said that the team was hopeful that they had resolved the bugs this time around. https://twitter.com/RKRigney/status/1400460453298331657 Apex Legends 1.71 patch notes As this is such a small patch, there are only three changes noted by Respawn: Re-enabled leaver penalties for Arenas – Fixed some voice chat issues on Switch – Grants all players the #Pride badge! – Available now: #PRIDE Month badge is a login reward in Apex Legends! pic.twitter.com/Jz5ZlHIJn2 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) June 3, 2021 This includes the Pride Month badge, which is a login reward for all players.

Apex Legends update 1.70 patch notes: Valkyrie jetpack hover nerf – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.70 patch notes: Valkyrie jetpack hover nerf Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends update today, 1.70, has introduced a tweak to Valkyrie’s jetpack passive, the first nerf to the new Legend, albeit a minor one. Most players would agree that Valkyrie has come out the gates well-balanced in Season 9, but Respawn identified one problem with her kit that they didn’t consider before. In high-level competitive matches, Valk players ‘hovering’ for longer by holding down her tactical at the same time, which would consume fuel at only 10% of the normal rate. Respawn didn’t want this to be abused at the ongoing ALGS Championship, and so are removing this tactical hover completely in patch 1.70. Live balance designer John Larson explained: “Valk’s “tac hover” was designed to consume fuel at 10% of the normal rate. With ALGS ramping up, we figured we should remove this exception (we found Valks would often take coffee breaks above the final fight in scrims).” Rather than nerfing the ability to simply consume slightly more fuel, Respawn has just removed it entirely, meaning holding Valkyrie’s tactical will not reduce how much fuel is used at all. Apex Legends 1.70 update patch notes Switch fixes: Fixed an issue with Switch users being kicked from the game due to system clock manipulation. Sorry Animal Crossing time travelers! Go get your bells. – Added a missing confirmation message after purchasing the Bloodhound x Lifeline edition – – Valkyrie adjustment: Hovering while using Valk’s tactical now consumes the same amount of fuel compared to hovering while not using her tactical. This is a balance change meant to address Valkyrie players staying out of the fight for extended periods of time in late-game circles. – – Arenas: Fixed the “Wins X rounds in Arenas” Challenges not tracking wins correctly – – Other: Fixed a flickering issue caused by Legends with light effects in the lobby. – Miscellaneous stability fixes – –

Apex Legends update 1.69 patch notes: Wattson fence fix, leaving penalties & backpack issue addressed – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.69 patch notes: Wattson fence fix, leaving penalties & backpack issue addressed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ latest 1.69 patch is finally live, bringing with it plenty of fixes to some of the game’s most frustrating bugs and glitches, namely Wattson’s fences and backpack issues. While Apex Legends’ massive Season 9 update brought with it plenty of new content to the table, there have also been a number of frustrating issues that have plagued the game. The biggest adjustment comes in the form of Wattson’s electric fence fix – an area that has been causing the Defensive Legend problems since the Legacy update went live. Respawn previously confirmed that this nerf to the Static Defender was an accident, so many fans will be glad to see if it fixed. Fortunately, Wattson’s fences have now been fixed and perform as originally intended. If that wasn’t enough, patch 1.69 has also increased the spawn rate of backpacks/attachments, cleaned up Valkyrie’s glitchy ultimate, and fixed the various map exploits that players have been using to get an unfair advantage in the Arenas game mode. It’s hoped that this latest patch will drastically improve the overall gameplay experience, while also cutting down on any frustrating deaths that arise from game-breaking bugs and lack of attachments. Without further ado, let’s jump into all the patch 1.69 changes. Wattson electrified in patch 1.69 The Static Defender could return to her former glory after the 1.69 patch update gave her Perimeter Security fences a much needed revert. Apex players should notice that the slow effect on her electric fences should apply its tailored slow effect when players run through it. This was one of the most requested changes to Wattson’s kit, since it drastically reduced the threat of her ground-control abilities. Don’t be surprised if Respawn keeps an eye on the Legend in the coming weeks to see if the buff is good enough to keep her viable or if she’s still weak and needs more tuning. Valkyrie ult adjusted and stat pad exploit fixed The Season 9: Legacy character, Valkyrie, debuted as a fan-favorite in the Apex Games, but the devs are still working on perfecting her kit – and plugging some exploits that have been cropping up. Mainly, Respawn are adding a short input delay on her Skyward Dive ult that has been seeing players accidentally canceling the ability shortly after deploying it. Meanwhile, a bizarre stat padding exploit was discovered in the firing range that let people tweak the numbers on their account. Arenas leavers penalty and more Respawn are making a huge quality of life change in the Arenas mode with a leavers penalty system that will punish early quitters in the game. “You only get the penalty if you were in a full squad when you left (this doesn’t apply if you were partying with a leaver–you’ll still get penalized in that case).” This should entice players to try out Arenas again, since a match can be completely derailed if one player decides to quit before the game is over. There was also a fix to an exploit in Arenas that let people upgrade, even if they didn’t have the proper materials to do so. The full Apex Legends 1.69 patch notes can be found below, courtesy of Respawn. Apex Legends 1.69 patch notes Restored slow effect when players run into Wattson’s fences – Valkyrie changes: Added a short input delay after using Valkyrie’s ult to prevent players from accidentally activating–then immediately cancelling–their ult by accident – Fixed an exploit that let players record stats in the firing range while using Valkyrie – Fixed an edge case that allowed her ult to be activated shortly after using a jump pad – – Arenas changes: Penalties for abandoning games have been added to Arenas. This is similar to the abandon penalty applied in Ranged BR games. You only get a penalty if you were in a full squad when you left (this doesn’t apply if you were parties with a leaver–you’ll still get penalized in that case). This update will activate a warning for players who are about to leave a game in-progress. The associated penalties will follow shortly after. – Fixed an exploit that allowed users to unlock upgrades without having enough materials to do so. – Hop-up Upgrades for Bocek bow are now as follows: Level 2: Shattercaps. Level 3: Deadeye’s Tempo – Fixed Various Arenas bugs and errors – – Loot adjustments Adjusted the logic for loot items being spawned on the ground as opposed to being placed into loot bins. This should cause backpacks to spawn more evenly on the ground as opposed to being spawned almost exclusively in loot bins. – Slight increase in spawn rates for Level 2 Evo armor. The starter kit changes introduced in Season 9 had caused them to be lowered by more than expected. – – Miscellaneous stability fixes – Late Afternoon PT Playlist Update: Re-enabling Valkyrie in the firing range – We’re temporarily increasing survival XP earned in Arenas. This is a placeholder fix to offset the fact that the buy phase currently isn’t being taken into account for “survival time.” In a future patch we’ll adjust the survival time calculation to include the buy phase and return the survival XP earn rate to its previous level. – So, there you have it, everything that was adjusted in Apex Legends’ 1.69 update. Time will tell whether these changes will be enough to help Wattson’s pitiful play rate or whether the loot adjustments will prove satisfactory. Make sure you check out our Apex Legends page for all the latest news and updates.

Apex Legends update 1.68 patch notes: Bow and Spitfire nerfs – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.68 patch notes: Bow and Spitfire nerfs Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends developers Respawn Entertainment have rolled out a patch to address some of the more powerful weapons in Season 9, namely the Bocek Bow and the Spitfire. Despite a small nerf to the Spitfire in the Legacy patch notes, it wasn’t enough to totally bring it in line, with just a fairly minor recoil increase. Meanwhile, the Bow probably released stronger than any other new weapon in the game, dealing high damage, with a big ammo stack, and very quiet shots. And, even though arrow ammo is scarce on the ground, the ability to recover fired arrows can lead to it almost feeling a bit like an infinite ammo weapon. Thankfully, before the situation got too out of hand, Respawn has confirmed a nerf for the Bow is already being released, just a week after Season 9 launched. The Spitfire has had its damage reduced by 1 per bullet, and the mag size for Purple and Gold reduced by 5. Meanwhile, the base damage for a fully-drawn bow shot will be reduced to 60 (was 70), and draw time has been increased. Also, the Stack size for ammo has been reduced to 14, and the slot size all the way to 28, from 48. Apex Legends 1.67 patch notes Fixed an error that was preventing players from logging in (“Array index 1 is out of range”) – Arenas matches will now end if there are no players left on the enemy team – Arenas should now track “time survived” more consistently – Arenas should now longer display the “Apex Legends” screen transition with incorrect texture sometimes – Fixed low detail player models in the lobby. – Valkyrie’s passive no longer highlights players that are not alive and/or in spectator mode – Bloodhound will no longer be able to see tracking markers for Valkyrie while she’s using her jet pack. This is a temporary measure done to improve stability. – Addressed an error with the stats page which was triggered by switching back and forth between Arenas stats and Battle Royale stats – Valkyrie bundle promo image now properly directs players to the in-game store – General stability improvements – Late Afternoon PT playlist update: Fixed a rock on Phaserunner that lacked collision detection (no more hiding inside ghost rocks – Spitfire Adjustments: Per bullet damage decreased from 19>18 – Purple/Gold mag size reduced from 55>50 – – Bocek Bow adjustments: Max charge body shot damage decreased from 70>60 – Charge up time increased from 0.54 > 0.56 – Deadeye’s Temp charge up time increased from 0.36 > 0.38 – Stack size decreased from 16 > 14, inventory slot count decreased from 48 > 28 – – Arenas Flash Event challenges In addition to the weapon changes, the first Arenas Flash event is also live, offering rewards like crafting metals, Battle Pass stars, and Apex packs. It remains to be seen if these changes will be enough to balance out the weapons, especially the Bow, which has been dominating lobbies across Battle Royale and Arenas.

Apex Legends update 1.59 patch notes: Fix for broken skins – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.59 patch notes: Fix for broken skins Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends rolled out a small update, version 1.59, on February 22, fixing some of the broken skin textures for characters, as well as some other stability fixes. Since Season 8 dropped, players have been experiencing a number of frustrating issues in Apex Legends, none more so than the dreaded ‘infinite loading screen’ which prevents players from logging in. The only workaround for this at the moment seems to be totally resetting your system, which is far from ideal. Unfortunately, this latest patch, 1.59, doesn’t fix this issue yet, but the developers are still investigating the problem. Shortly after the 1.59 update, Respawn confirmed they would also be extending the Anniversary Collection event, originally due to end on February 23. It will now run until March 2. We heard some of you need more time to collect all your Anniversary rewards? 👀 In the spirit of celebration, we’re going to keep the party going for one additional week. The Anniversary Collection Event will now remain open until March 2 at 10am PT. pic.twitter.com/uZwtBvL149 — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 23, 2021 Missing skin textures fixed The main purpose of the 1.59 update in Apex Legends was to fix the broken skins players had been seeing in first-person view. This bug was affecting skins with Bloodhound, Loba, Lifeline and more. Although the skins looked perfectly normal to everyone else, in first person, the hands of the character appeared as just plain grey. Other than this, there wasn’t much else to get excited about in this update. Respawn say the only other improvements were some “stability fixes.” Apex Legends 1.59 update patch notes Fixed several character skins with grey, untextured hand models on consoles – Several stability fixes. – The developers noted that they were still investigating login bugs. Other bugs being investigated, as per their Trello board, include missing red dots, an increase in slow-mo servers and even a rare bug where players lose all their cosmetics. There’s also been an increase in players reporting an issue that prevents them from being able to loot deathboxes. We’ll keep you up to date with fixes for these issues, which should be coming in a future update.

Apex Legends update 1.48 fixes broken Pathfinder: Patch Notes – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.48 fixes broken Pathfinder: Patch Notes Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends 1.48 hotfix update has dropped and will hopefully address the troublesome Pathfinder bug that some people have encountered, while cleaning up a few more issues that Respawn noticed. As the next phase of the battle royale takes shape in Season 6, there’s been a fair few changes to Legends across the board. However, even when the meta is going smoothly, problematic glitches tend to appear at the worst times. Respawn dropped three bug fixes in the 1.48 patch, containing solutions for recurring issues dealing with Crypto’s EMP ultimate ability, Pathy’s Grapple, as well as the HUD elements that can sometimes get in the way of each other. These have all been widely reported by the Apex community, who now hope it’ll be the last time they’ll have to put up with it in their matches. Pathfinder’s shoulder bug Apex players should be able to use Pathfinder’s Grapple Hook without hesitating, now that Respawn have launched a fix to the shoulder bug that would cover the screen. His animation for the Tactical Ability can sometimes cause the screen to get clogged up by his shoulder. This would leave players frustrated seeing as they couldn’t relieve the situation by any means. But the devs think they resolved the issue on their end, though players were already saying the update didn’t really fix the problem. We’ve pushed out a patch to address the following: 🔸Pathfinder’s shoulder staying in view after using grapple 🔸Crypto unable to use weapons when triggering EMP while not in drone mode 🔸Moved Performance Display so it doesn’t overlap with Kill/Assists HUD element in Ranked— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 12, 2020 Crypto EMP weapon bug While the Pathfinder bug interrupted people’s line of sight, Crypto’s EMP bug indirectly disabled the Surveillance Expert’s ability to use a gun. Respawn said they’ve fixed an issue where “Crypto was unable to use weapons when triggering EMP while not in drone mode.” This would obvious create a ton of problems for people trying to create a play with the EMP, making it a high-priority target for the devs to resolve. Finally, the studio changed up the HUD elements a bit, since they saw that the ‘Performance Display’ would sometimes overlap with the Kill/Assists on the screen. The hotfix patch will hopefully give players an easier time navigating in the Arena. While it’s a relatively small patch, check out the notes below, courtesy of Respawn. Apex Legends 1.48 patch notes Pathfinder’s shoulder staying in view after using grapple – Crypto unable to use weapons when triggering EMP while not in drone mode – Moved Performance Display so it doesn’t overlap with Kill/Assists HUD element in Ranked –

Apex Legends update 1.08 causing major issues on PS4 – Respawn respond [UPDATE] – Dexerto
Apex Legends update 1.08 causing major issues on PS4 – Respawn respond [UPDATE] The 1.08 update for Apex Legends landed on May 8 but rather than fixing issues, it’s been causing some serious problems for players on PS4 – making the game near unplayable for some. Update – May 8 Respawn Entertainment has addressed the problems that a sizeable portion of the community has been experiencing, and are looking for a fix. It’s still unknown what’s specifically causing the problems, but players can at least look forward to Respawn issuing a solution soon. For those experiencing crashing on PS4, we’re aware and investigating the issue. We’ll provide updates as we work on a fix. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) May 8, 2019 Original Story Respawn Entertainment launched their battle royale on February 4 and has since been incredibly popular with players, but a continuous series of bugs has been crippling the experience for a lot of people. The latest issues seem to be stemming from the surprise 1.08 patch that has been freezing up the game for a lot of players, especially on PlayStation 4. What’s worse is that it looks like the majority of problems are happening during or immediately following the character select screen, preventing players from jumping into King’s Canyon. Players excited to drop into King’s Canyon might have to wait a bit until a fix is issued. The update, which have yet to get official patch notes, has been making players apprehensive to load into games and even roaming around the menus seeings as it can freeze the game at any point. “Can’t tell if it’s specific banner frame/pose: going to banner settings freezes the game as well both for me and my friend,” Reddit user ‘Taylor_N’ said. Members of the Apex Legends community have expressed their confusion from the patch that took players from the 1.1.1 entry to 1.08. “I cant join any games,” Reddit user ‘xSevithx’ said. “Anyone who joins me freezes. What the fk? It just freezes after the legend select screen….anyone else having this issue? Update seems to have completely boned Apex for me.” Why is Apex Legends freezing? The influx of reports have been confusing tons of people, while others are looking for an explanation to the recent problems. “My working theory is that this is a rollback before the real update comes through,” Reddit user ‘d0nkatron’ said. “It’s a super tiny update, which means it could be simply fixing that bad script error that caused the gibby/caustic bug. If it’s not this, I’m totally at a loss of explanation. This is bizarre to say the least.” Respawn Entertainment have yet to address the latest update sent out to players or the rise of issues that seem to have been directly caused by downloading it. We’ll update this article as more information becomes available. UPDATED: MAY 9, 2019 – 1:36 PM EST

Apex Legends untrusted system file error: What is it and how to fix it – Dexerto
Apex Legends untrusted system file error: What is it and how to fix it Respawn EntertainmentIf you are attempting to launch Apex Legends from Steam and being hit with the untrusted system file error, which is caused due to the Easy Anti-cheat system used in Apex. Thankfully, there is a fairly straightforward fix. Although this specific error has been around in Apex Legends since launch, it has reared its head again a lot more frequently since Apex was released on Steam. But, it can also still affect players on Origin. What is untrusted system file on Apex Legends? This error is caused by Easy Anti-cheat flagging certain game files as ‘untrusted’. It is a measure to prevent players with hacks and cheats loading up the game, but it can also sometimes incorrectly flag perfectly normal files. If you are on Steam, you may be getting an error message like “untrusted system file (D:\Program Files\Steam\steamclient64.dll)” Read More: How to fix Apex Legends code 100 error – There are a couple of methods to fix this bug, so we’ll start with the simplest first. How to fix Untrusted System File in Apex Legends Run EAC as administrator The first fix to try is the simplest, so best to get this one out of the way first. Go to Apex Legends in your Steam library – Right click and go to game properties – Select ‘browse’ from local files – Find ‘Easy Anti-Cheat launcher’ in the file list – Right click and select Properties > Compatibility – Select ‘Run this program as administrator’ – Fix untrusted System File in command prompt If this doesn’t resolve the issue, another solution should fix the untrusted system file error when trying to launch Apex Legends. Search ‘cmd’ in start menu – Right click ‘command prompt’, run as administrator – In the cmd window, type ‘netsh winsock reset’ and hit enter – Then type ‘sfc /scannow’ and hit enter, wait for this to complete – Restart your PC – Reinstall Apex Legends If these fixes don’t resolve the issue, the next option is to remove Apex from your system, and reinstall it. Obviously, this will take more time, but should hopefully fix any files that were being flagged by Easy Anti-Cheat. These fixes should work for any game that uses Easy Anti-Cheat too, which may also be causing similar errors with other games.

Apex Legends Season 12 certainly didn’t disappoint with the Rebel Warlord Mad Maggie and the Olympus map overhaul giving the community plenty of content to get stuck into. Now the Warriors Collection event has come to a close, there’s one more update to tick off the Defiance roadmap, and that’s the Unshackled thematic event. Well, after weeks of silence, Respawn finally unveiled a trailer for the event that’s set to go live today, and it includes an incredible set of new cosmetics, unique rewards to earn, and even the return of the Flashpoint LTM. Contents What time is the Unshackled Event in Apex Legends? – Apex Legends Unshackled start date – Apex Legends Unshackled skins & packs – Apex Legends Unshackled Flashpoint LTM – Apex Legends Unshackled prize trackers – What time is the Unshackled Event in Apex Legends? The Unshackled event starts in Apex Legends on April 19 at 6 pm BST /10 am PT/ 13:00 ET. This makes sense as Respawn’s weekly store reset and updates usually take place at this time. Apex Legends Unshackled start date The Unshackled event will run from April 19 to May 3. During this time, players will be able to complete two separate rewards trackers, each offering collectible items. Keep in mind, once the event is over they will no longer be available, so make sure you’re playing games throughout both weeks. Apex Legends Unshackled skins & packs Unshackled will introduce 40 new collectibles to Apex Legends including a range of Legendary & Epic tier skins. These will be available in the new Unshackled packs that guarantee you one non-duplicate Thematic Event item. You can check the full set of skins in the Unshackled trailer below: It’s worth noting the Unshackled cosmetics will be featured in the standard pack pool and will be available to create with crafting metals at a higher price. Not only that, if you’d prefer to purchase Unshackled cosmetics with Apex Coins, a number of the skins will be available to unlock in the store. As shown above, there will be two separate storefronts over the course of the event, so if you’re looking for a specific skin, it might be worth waiting for it to become available. Apex Legends Unshackled Flashpoint LTM Although the majority of thematic events only include cosmetics and no in-game content, Unshackled will be slightly different. On top of the new skins, the Flashpoint game mode will be returning, but this time on Olympus. Completely replacing healing items, players will need to head to the huge blue domes called Flashpoints scattered across the map to regenerate health and shields. This adds a new dynamic to the match and it’s worth remembering, that the final circle will always end on a Flashpoint, so be prepared. Apex Legends Unshackled prize trackers Similar to the Dark Depths thematic event, Unshackled will have multiple prize trackers that last for one week each during the 14-day event. That way, players will be consistently earning new rewards and will always have a reason to dive down into the Outlands. You check out each of the trackers below and the rewards on offer: Make sure you’re prepared for the event to kick off so you can start earning rewards straight away. Apex Legends unready bug: Players unable start matches due to ‘party not ready’ glitch – Dexerto
Apex Legends unready bug: Players unable start matches due to ‘party not ready’ glitch Respawn EntertainmentMany Apex Legends players, especially those trying to crossplay with friends have been hit by the unready bug, which has once again reared its head. Apex Legends’ “Party Not Ready” bug is nothing new to longtime players. It’s cropped up more than once since the game’s launch, preventing players from joining a match because the party wasn’t ready. This error would occur despite every member in the lobby being readied up. Worse still, it even affected those who jumped in for solo play. Temporary workarounds and seemingly permanent fixes addressed the frustrating issue. But crossplay users recently found themselves backed into a wall by the error yet again. The unready bug in Apex Legends returns On March 1, 2023, several Apex users reported that they’d encountered the unready bug when trying to play with friends. A few Twitter users specifically experienced trouble with the battle royale’s PC and Xbox versions, though it’s possible players on PS4 and PS5 consoles were similarly affected. Responses to all three of the above posts mentioned the issue seemed widespread, particularly for those using Apex Legends’ crossplay functionality. It’s worth noting that several hours have gone by since someone last reported the error, suggesting Respawn may have quietly solved the problem. Apparently, there exists no specified answer as to what causes the unready bug to dip in and out of Apex Legends. In the past, players worked around the issue by rebooting their WIFI/router while in-game after receiving the error message. Reconnecting to Apex afterward helped address the bug. Presumably, this method would still work but here’s to hoping not too many people feel the need to rely on it.

Apex Legends underused SMG will be a “monster” after buffs in new update – Dexerto
Apex Legends underused SMG will be a “monster” after buffs in new update Respawn EntertainmentThe Prowler SMG is receiving a minor damage buff with the Apex Legends Spellbound Collection Event, but players are convinced it’s going to transform the gun into a “monster”. When it comes to guns in Apex Legends, the R-301, R99, and Flatline seem to be the most popular options for the majority of players. They all provide lethal damage output and as they’re full auto, they’re slightly more forgiving if you happen to miss a few shots. One weapon that often gets overlooked is the Prowler, an SMG that fires in bursts and melts enemy health bars, but does require pinpoint accuracy. Well, to push players to use it more, Respawn has decided to buff its damage in the Spellbound Collection Event, and fans of the Prowler are convinced it’s going to be a “monster” following the update. Prowler buff coming in Apex Legends Spellbound update The Prowler will be receiving a buff with the Spellbound Collection Event arriving on January 10. The SMG’s damage is going to be increased from 14 to 15. While this does seem minor at a glance, the Prowler shoots in bursts of five bullets, so each trigger pull now does 75 damage instead of 70. As showcased by Apex YouTuber Bobz, this means that anyone using red EVO armor can now be downed with three bursts to the body. This is significant as it makes the Prowler more viable in the late game and rewards anyone whose willing to completely master its recoil pattern. In the comments, a lot of Prowler fans are convinced that this will make the SMG a “monster” and that the gun didn’t need a buff. According to them, the gun was already “super underrated” and this change will just make it “even more ridiculous”. It’ll be interesting to see if the Prowler becomes more prominent in the ALGS following this buff, or whether it remains a fairly underused weapon.

Apex Legends under fire for cost and RNG of Apex Packs in Iron Crown event – Dexerto
Apex Legends under fire for cost and RNG of Apex Packs in Iron Crown event Respawn EntertainmentLess than 24 hours after the release of the Iron Crown event for Apex Legends, Respawn have received a flood of backlash from players complaining about the cost of acquiring the new skins through packs The highly anticipated Iron Crown update released on all platforms as a limited time event, on August 13. The main attraction was the introduction of solo mode, as well as map changes and a plethora of new cosmetics. Since the event is time constrained, players a have a restricted opportunity to unlock their exclusive cosmetics until the event comes to a halt (currently scheduled for August 27). With the in-game store previously receiving criticism (primarily for its lack of content and high price-points), fans of the popular battle royale were eagerly anticipating a fresh batch of cosmetics that would also be accessible — given the obvious time constraints of the event. Indeed, the player and weapon skins have received praise from the community for the creative efforts invested by Respawn. However, players are disgruntled about the pricing and accessibility of Iron Crown content. Only available in ‘Iron Crown Event Packs’ which cost a whopping 700 Apex Coins per pack – roughly $7 (£5.59). The prevailing consensus among fans is about the reliance upon the randomization of the loot boxes, meaning that players have no choice over what skin that they receive. Another post on the Apex Legends sub reddit is entitled “I’m sorry Respawn, but this is where you lost me”, racking up almost 30,000 upvotes. Read more: First look at Bloodhound’s Heirloom. – Respawn have offered players two free Iron Crown Event Packs from playing the game, which means that players would still need to purchase a further 22 packs, costing around $154 (£123) to unlock every item. The addition of the ‘Event Store’ – where players can spend ‘crowns’ (an in-game currency from completing event-specific challenges) gives players an opportunity to obtain six additional cosmetics that the Iron Crown packs do not offer. Although, given the context, the inclusion of an Event Store appears like an attempt to soften the blow for restricting players into a gambling mechanic that is built into a limited time event.

Apex Legends on ultrawide monitors apparently creates ‘pay-to-win wall hack’ bug – Dexerto
Apex Legends on ultrawide monitors apparently creates ‘pay-to-win wall hack’ bug Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player found a bug with the aspect ratio on an ultrawide monitor that lets people see through objects, and it’s being likened to ‘pay-to-win’ wall hacks. While Apex has had a rough history with glitches and the sort, this one might be one of the more niche problems to be seen in the game. Generally, ultrawide monitors fetch a pretty nickel compared to a similarly spec’d screen of normal proportions. A video by Reddit user ‘Ricashea3’ showed how having the aspect ratio fit ultrawide settings can glitch the corners of the screen to peek through solid objects. There was a discrepancy with the aspect ratio, and it’s believed that this kind of bug is persistent on 32:9 settings and one some TVs, rather than 21:9 ratio. This bug has been something that some Apex players have seen happen for a couple of seasons at this point, with some people asking Respawn for a fix. “Pay to win lmao but I just hope the devs can patch this pretty quickly,” Ricashea3 said. Others report the same kind of bug, but not with the ability to see opponents’ player model. In the clip, you can see Wraith moving and taking damage from the other side of the boulder in the Firing Range. Since it has to do with aspect ratio, this can reportedly be replicated on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, depending on your screen of choice. This will likely get the attention of the Respawn devs, and it’ll be interesting to see if a fix for a visual bug like this will be quick to implement.

It’s handy to know what their abilities do, and how you can use them. If you’re looking to get your timings down pat, we’ve got you covered with all Ultimate and Tactical ability cooldowns in Apex. One of the biggest learning curves of picking up a new character in Apex Legends is ability usage. Apex Legends “UI images ran out of room” error: is there a fix? – Dexerto
Apex Legends “UI images ran out of room” error: is there a fix? RespawnApex Legends players continue to struggle with a game-crashing error message reading “UI images ran out of room”. Unfortunately there are no known causes or an obvious fix. Bugs and glitches have always existed in video games, with Apex Legends no different. Despite approaching its sixteenth season of post-launch content, Respawn have never quite managed to make their BR the glitch-free utopia every player craves. From issues surrounding crafting to obnoxious Steam crashes, there always seems to be one or two problems for players to navigate. Now, a bug is causing players’ games to crash and appears to be occurring more frequently as Season 15 ages. Apex Legends “UI ran out of room” error UPDATE: On January 19, 2023, Respawn Entertainment rolled out an update that removed Olympus from the map rotation and replaced it with World’s Edge. Respawn’s official Twitter account explained that replacing Olympus “will allow us to continue to work on the issue without impacting gameplay.” Unfortunately, it’s unclear when exactly Olympus will return to the rotation—if at all. For now, Apex Legends fans will just have to wait for more clarification from Respawn surrounding the change. The original article is as follows: The specific bug in question relates to a “UI ran out of room” issue. The error message appears after a game has crashed and no further context is given. As of the time of writing (January 18, 2023), it only appears to affect players on PC. There are no reports from PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or mobile players. The bug itself does not appear prior to crashing players’ games, only displaying once the match has malfunctioned. Players experiencing the issue are booted out of Apex Legends and returned to their PC desktop. Is there a fix for Apex Legends “UI ran out of room” error? Despite the issue being known in the Apex community for some time now, there is still no known cause or fix. The nature of the message has led some to speculate that it affects users who do not have enough resources to spare on their PC, specifically regarding CPU, GPU, and RAM. An EA respondent in October 2022 also said they were not sure of a fix and that the bug was largely unfamiliar to them. On January 18, 2023, Respawn publicly acknowledged the issue for the first time. They said: “The Apex team is currently working through an issue where players are encountering a pop-up reading “Engine Error – UI Images Ran Out of Room”. We’re hopeful that we’ll have some sort of resolution for this in the morning and will check back in here with more info then.” For now, players should try and make sure their PC is running as smoothly as possible, with plenty of storage space available. Restarting PCs has been reported as a temporary fix, even if the error message displays at random again further down the line. We will be sure to update this article if and when a fix becomes clearer.

Apex Legends UFO finally comes to Kings Canyon in Season 7 teaser – Dexerto
Apex Legends UFO finally comes to Kings Canyon in Season 7 teaser Screenshot via Apex LegendsThe newest teaser for Apex Legends Season 7 has gone live, with the previously leaked ‘UFO’ finally showing up on Kings Canyon. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] With Apex Legends gearing up for its seventh season, players have been eager for the devs – Respawn Entertainment – to start revealing some key details about what’s being lined up. However, Respawn has remained pretty silent on it, only hinting at what legends are being buffed. In the meantime, leakers and players have been digging into files and picking out details from previous dev streams to try and find answers – with one of the biggest questions surrounding the mysterious UFO that has been spotted previously. The huge, metallic UFO was seen floating off the Broken Coast in a dev stream, before leakers were able to find it hanging high above Skyhook only a few weeks later. Now, though, it’s finally in-game. Apex Legends UFO teaser The new teaser went live at 11 am EST/4 pm BST on October 23, with the previously leaked UFO showing up and lingering off the coast of Kings Canyon behind Airbase. After first appearing on KC, it has also appeared on World’s Egde, sitting behind Overlook. Sadly, while some players assumed that it might be interactable and have some clues on board, you can’t actually reach the UFO at the time of writing. Instead, as already noted, it’s just sat off the coast of both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge, just floating in the sky, looming large and looking like it could be gearing up to get closer and closer over the next few days. https://twitter.com/shrugtal/status/1319656203488796672 However, it’s not all bad news. As reliable leaker Shrugtal pointed out, the new look UFO actually has actually been seen before. The balloons actually appeared in the Loba teasers showing off, you guessed it, what appears to be Olympus. Of course, in the past, many of these teasers have held key clues regarding new seasons and new legends, but we’ll just have to wait and see if we can get up close and personal with it. If there are further teasers ahead of Season 7, you’ll be able to find the latest news and updates here on Dexerto as we’ll keep this article updated.

New Twitch stats show Apex Legends decline – but that doesn’t mean it’s dying – Dexerto
New Twitch stats show Apex Legends decline – but that doesn’t mean it’s dying Twitch / EA / IconfinderFor a time, Apex Legends looked like it’d be the next hot commodity on Twitch, but it has since dropped significantly down the totem pole. Does it really matter though? Streamers push Apex Legends into the limelight A lot to do with Apex Legends’ quick start came from big-name Twitch streamers playing the game on launch day. The title received no promotion from EA or Respawn themselves prior to release, and instead was first experienced by a group of streamers and content creators just days before its release. It was able to take advantage of a time when Fortnite Battle Royale’s popularity was waning and Apex represented something new and refreshing for players to experience. Apex Legends Twitch popularity is way down When Apex Legends came out it was buoyed by a number of big streamers playing the game like shroud, Dr Disrespect, Ninja and many others but they have largely moved on to other games which has led to the decline of Apex’s Twitch dominance. While Apex Legends was able to bring dizzy to prominence, it hasn’t really done it with other streamers. Fortnite caused Ninja and Myth, just two of many examples, to explode in popularity, something Apex was unable to do. In data gathered by The Esports Observer, we see Fortnite’s average concurrent viewers are consistently above Apex – give or take a couple of days where Apex held a Twitch Rivals tournament or sponsored players to play. What does this mean for Apex Legends? While Apex Legends is waning on Twitch that doesn’t mean the game’s player base is hurting by any means. With 50 million unique players in its first month, the numbers aren’t bad at all when it comes to the player base, so the Twitch viewership doesn’t tell the whole story. Respawn mentioned the game’s player base is still growing rapidly as recently as April 25 with a blog post about the future of the game – although didn’t give a specific figure. Games like Overwatch, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds all experienced big drop-offs in viewing figures after release, but still boast large and loyal player bases. For all those out there writing the eulogy for Apex Legends because of the declining Twitch popularity, you might want to hold off for now.

New report shows Apex Legends’ dramatic decline on Twitch – Dexerto
New report shows Apex Legends’ dramatic decline on Twitch EA/TwitchFollowing its release in February 2019, Apex Legends became one of the most popular games in a very short space of time – fast forward five months though, and its viewership has taken a shocking decline. More than 70% of live streaming is watched on Twitch, meaning its viewership numbers are an excellent way of determining which games are most popular – albeit in terms of hours viewed. It started so well Despite releasing in February, Apex Legends was still the third most watched game on Twitch during Q1 with just shy of 183 million hours. Fortnite and League of Legends were the two games to beat it with totals of 312 million and 302 million hours, respectively. What these numbers don’t show is that for the month following its release, it actually beat Fortnite. This lead many to believe that Apex Legends would be the game to kill Fortnite – we now know it wasn’t. Naturally optimism surrounding the longevity and resulting success of the game were at an all time high. Milestones such as number of unique players were hit in record time, providing justification for this optimism. Sharp decline However, if the brakes were on Apex Legends’ momentum, Twitch’s Q2 viewership statistics have brought it to a complete stop. After finishing 3rd for most hours watched in Q1, it has completely fell out of the top 10 for Q2, according to StreamElements. Even PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which while it retains a hardcore following, a game which is over two years old, beat it for number of hours watched. PUBG finished tenth in the Q2 table with 65 million hours of watching. Respawn Entertainment and EA will hope that the introduction of Apex Legends Season 2 will renew the game’s hype but this may be more hopeful than expectation. It will be interesting to see whether Apex Legends survives in the long-term but if viewership continues to decline at the rate it has recently, then future for Titanfall-esque battle royale game looks bleak.

Apex Legends Twitch streamer rages and bans player after in-game death – Dexerto
Apex Legends Twitch streamer rages and bans player after in-game death Apex Legends streamer Otto ‘ottr’ Boström has come under fire for raging and banning a player from his Twitch chat after dying to them in-game. Gaming can be frustrating at times. Encountering game-breaking bugs, or even cheaters, is enough to make players lose their temper. But nothing can be more irritating than being simply outclassed by somebody else. Some take their anger out on their gaming setup, breaking thousands of dollars worth of equipment while doing so. Others, such as Swedish creator Ottr, use their words to let out their frustrations, which is exactly what happened in a recent live stream when the 25-year-old raged after being gunned down. Streamer rages at Apex Legends player During his August 11 live stream, the Apex fan went off on a rant after running into a team and dying to them. Ottr claimed he heard no audio whatsoever, before hitting out at the “team of virgins” that killed him. “Look at these people, never seen a woman, or man, in their entire life,” he said. “They live in their mom’s basement, what the f**k? Jesus Christ, that’s some absolute virgin behavior. “Absolute losers,” Ottr added. “They have the f**king audacity to shoot around as well like they own the place, Jesus Christ. Again, these types of people disgust me. That’s another reason, like I’m annoyed dying to it, but it disgusts me.” He continued: “They stuff their face with chips and McDonald’s, have grease all over the keyboard and their mouth. They weigh like 500 f**king lbs, just f**king you know never working out, never going to the gym, not brushing their teeth. Constantly on TikTok, probably p*rn on the second monitor, just Loba wiggling her a** or something.” The player that killed Ottr proceeded to head to his Twitch channel, where he was streaming at the time. However, they were quickly banned from the chat after noting how the Swedish creator insulted them for five minutes. Players respond Upon sharing the experience with Reddit, the Apex community began criticizing Ottr’s behavior. “Otter is the embodiment of TTVer memes. Toxic, annoying, and way too overconfident,” said one. Another claimed he was “trash” for reacting in this way. “He has nothing positive to add to the community. His content is sh*t. Multiple cheater accusations with decent footage. Literally, every other pro and content creator dislikes him. Absolutely washed kid riding a wave from 3 years ago. Should be canceled.”

Apex Legends Twitch Prime skins for Gibraltar, Bloodhound leaked – Dexerto
Apex Legends Twitch Prime skins for Gibraltar, Bloodhound leaked Twitch / Respawn EntertainmentNew Apex Legends leaks seem to have confirmed Gibraltar and Bloodhound will be the next characters to get their own limited-edition Twitch Prime skins, and it looks like the June and July releases will be part of a themed set too. Twitch’s exclusive Apex skins are often some of the rarest in the battle royale; they’re only available to fans who have subscriptions on the streaming site. Slowly but surely, Respawn is giving each character an exclusive release. After his debut in Season 4, Revenant was adorned with a “Gilded Rose” costume. Mirage — who finally got a rework this season — Wraith, and Loba were March, April, and May. Now Gibraltar and Bloodhound are up next. Twitch Prime Gibraltar, Bloodhound “Inspector” skins leaked According to Apex data miner Shrugtal, the next two Twitch Prime releases will be given to Gibraltar and Bloodhound. On top of that, the two skins look like they’re linked: both are to be included in an “Inspector” set. The rare skins are hidden in a directory marked “rareplus_twitchprime_inspector,” according to another Apex code-dipper, Biast12. Each have been updated from old, brown variants of the skins. Both legends have the same code lines. It looks like Gibraltar will be the first arrival, and should be available in mid-June. Bloodhound would likely be added the month after, in July, but neither have been teased on Apex’s official Twitch Prime page as of publication. The Inspector skins seem to be coated a deep purple, with both new Season 5 variants also adorned with red and yellow tribal markings. Each Legends’ armor also looks to be trimmed with gold, and Gibraltar is wearing white face paint. ok a little update, the two Inspector skin should be for Twitch prime https://t.co/0wwSasGAkz — Biast12 (@Biast12) May 20, 2020 New Updated Textures for the Inspector skin for Gibraltar pic.twitter.com/f5PF6v7P5a — Biast12 (@Biast12) May 19, 2020 When will the new Twitch Prime skins be released? Each new Apex Twitch Prime has arrived during the middle of their allotted month, and we can assume Gibraltar and Bloodhound’s will be no different. That means Gibraltar release will likely arrive around June 15. Bloodhound’s new skin should be available one month after that on July 15. For now, however, Apex fans will have to make do with Loba’s “Game Master” Twitch Prime skin, which is still available for collection. It landed on the subscription rewards page on May 15, and will be available for the standard 30 days. How to get the free Gibraltar and Bloodhound skins Once the new “Inspector” variant skins for Gibraltar and Bloodhound arrive, you will need an active Twitch Prime subscription to obtain them. To add the item to your inventory, complete the following steps: Visit the Apex Legends page on the Twitch Prime website. – Log in with the credentials for your Twitch account that has an active Prime subscription. – Click the CLAIM NOW button above the Inspector Gibraltar/Inspector Bloodhound skin (once they become available on June 15 and July 15 respectively). – When prompted, click to link your EA account with your Twitch account. – Once your accounts have been linked, the item will be claimed. It will then be added to your in-game inventory the next time you log in. – These “Inspector” skins also mark the very first time the Twitch Prime subscription reward variants follow a similar theme. Respawn has yet to confirm if this trend will continue for the following Prime skins in 2020 either. With Gibraltar and Bloodhound locked in for June and July, that leaves five months for the final five Legends to get their Twitch Prime skins throughout the end of the year. Players can expect to see Octane, Pathfinder, Wattson, Bangalore, and Lifeline receive theirs in the next few months.

Apex Legends Twitch drops finally fixed after they disappeared forever – Dexerto
Apex Legends Twitch drops finally fixed after they disappeared forever Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has finally rolled out a fix for the bug that was causing players’ Twitch drops to disappear in Apex Legends. Cosmetics are a huge part of Apex Legends and while the majority of them can be crafted or bought from the store, there are a select few that have to be claimed in other ways. One of which is through Twitch, who offer exclusive rewards for Prime members that usually include, load screens, skins, banners, and gun charms. Although these drops are incredible, a lot of Apex players were experiencing a frustrating bug that caused their previous Twitch rewards to disappear after they claimed a new one. Luckily, Respawn has finally announced a fix for the issue and it’s certainly appreciated by the community. Respawn finally confirm fix for disappearing Twitch drops bug After months of persistent issues with Twitch drops and various rewards disappearing from players’ accounts, Respawn has finally fixed the problem. Taking to Twitter, the developer revealed that they’d “pushed a fix to restore Twitch Drops to affected accounts… any drops you have previously claimed should now be available again.” This is great news for a lot of the community who assumed these cosmetics and collectibles were going to be lost forever. Although this took the devs a long time to solve, they did thanks players for their “patience” on the issue, so it clearly wasn’t a simple fix. Let’s hope this never happens again and if you were holding off on claiming your drops, you can rest assured they will no longer disappear from your account.

Apex Legends turns Mozambique into Nessie launcher in April Fools update – Dexerto
Apex Legends turns Mozambique into Nessie launcher in April Fools update Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment’s vision of April Fools Day might be the best in the first-person shooter genre, after turning one of the most maligned shotguns in the game – Mozambique – into a Nessie launcher. Nessies can be found all across the Apex Games maps, representing plushies of the famous Loch Ness Monster. The easter egg has been a recurring theme since the days of Titanfall, and is even featured in one of Wattson’s emotes. Though, on April 1, the developers decided to take it to a whole other level. Apex Legends Mozambique changed to Nessie launcher Instead of popping bullets with the Mozambique, it looks like a Snowball Launcher once seen in Fortnite Battle Royale. But instead of snowballs, green Nessies come flying out! The change will come as a surprise to members of the community that haven’t been checking their calendars, because – of course – this is an April Fools Day joke from the developers. It’s fair to say, it doesn’t look like a buff for the famously weak gun. In the comments underneath AlphaINTEL‘s post on Twitter, a user joked: “That Rev really seemed threatened by the Nessie Launcher.” Moments later, the player using the launcher was battered with punches. Another said: “I can accept getting knocked by a 360 no scope up down left right Kraber, but dying like this…….BRUHHH.” The chances of this being around for longer than the 24 hours of April Fools is unlikely, so pick up this terrible launcher while stocks last…

Apex Legends turns into CoD Zombies after player tries to revive near Prowlers – Dexerto
Apex Legends turns into CoD Zombies after player tries to revive near Prowlers Respawn EntertainmentAn ill-advised Respawn Beacon in Apex Legends creates a terrifying CoD Zombies ‘train’ with Storm Point’s Prowlers that players may want to avoid. Respawn Entertainment’s Season 11: Escape introduced a new map, Storm Point, teeming with wildlife including Prowler dens. People know to tread carefully and get out quick of these areas lest they get attacked by local fauna. But one Apex player became the target of a Prowler hunt after reviving his teammates at the Forbidden Zone near the Respawn Beacon around Antenna. “Apparently respawning teammates in the Forbidden Zone aggros all the Prowlers there,” user ‘Kennny’ said. Apex Legends rez aggros Prowlers The clip is making waves in the Apex community. The player had used the Respawn Beacon beforehand to get his two teammates back into the game. Little did he know that this action would set off the horde in a big way with no less than five Prowlers on his tail. They even joked the PvE looked like a classic clip from CoD’s popular Zombies mode. Every one of these animals hit for 25 damage and were chasing down Kennny until they finally subdued their prey. The scariest sequence came after the player thought they were safely guarded in the house when they turned back to see the beasts trudging up the stairs. “Yeah that area is a definite no-go zone in and out as fast as possible,” another person said. “Lost a game because I wasn’t ready for the amount of Prowlers that would come running at us eating shots meant for the last team.” Prowlers hunting Apex players is nothing new. Respawn added these extra threats in the battle royale to give players another layer of depth and extra resources throughout a game. The video shows why Apex Legends players shouldn’t underestimate the Forbidden Zones on Storm Point unless they want a quick end to their game.

Apex Legends trio smash squad kill world record – June 2019 – Dexerto
Apex Legends trio smash squad kill world record – June 2019 Respawn EntertainmentThe world record for most kills by a trio in popular battle royale game Apex Legends appears to have been demolished by a margin of three kills. Apex Legends burst onto the scene back in February, becoming an immediate hit with battle royale players eager for a new challenge in the immensely popular genre. Alongside aiming to be named Apex Champions in their own matches, some players have gone in search of kill records, setting incredible elimination numbers in search of glory. The previous record of 50 was a remarkable feat, seeing as Apex Legends matches are capped at 60 players due to the game only allowing teams of three. Of course, Apex Legend’s respawn ability means that players often end up killing a player, only for them to be revived by a teammate and brought back into the match. While this can be annoying for players who are searching solely for the win, it’s perfect for those trying to get high kill games, because if you manage to take them down again, you’ll be awarded a second kill, and boost your stats. The trios vs. squads world record has been smashed. OGxSlum, ImGobbleSauce, and Maseoon have taken the game to a whole new level though, dominating their way through a lobby to break the record with an unbelievable 53 kills. ImGobbleSauce, who makes up one third of the triumphant trio, has uploaded a video to YouTube which shows their incredible run from his perspective, although there are currently no videos available for any of the other players. The trio split up quickly after drop, attempting to find kills themselves to maximise their coverage across the map, consistently finding themselves in 1v3 scenarios. What makes their accomplishment even more impressive is the fact that OGxSlums is eliminated with just seven kills early in the contest, with ImGobbleSauce and Maseoon finding 24 and 20 kills respectively to secure the new record. The gameplay appears to take place on an Xbox console based on the controller prompts which can be spotted on the screen throughout the video, but their successful 53-kill match puts them head-and-shoulders above any trio, regardless of platform. Prism Esports, the team the players represent, stated they were “thrilled” to announce the accomplishment, while ImGobbleSauce wrote that he was “very proud” to have set the record. Finally time to announce! @ItsMaseoon , and I just broke the squad record for all platforms. (53 kills, 7687 dmg) @PlayApex. Very proud to say that Prism is now the record holder for all platform squad kills! @PrismEsports_US #prismontophttps://t.co/gM4BE3DrkP pic.twitter.com/sciddVeOYo — Gobble (@MrGobbleSauce) June 7, 2019 To the best of our knowledge, this gameplay sends the trio straight to the top of the Apex Legends World Records, and secures their spot as the players with the most kills in a single Apex Legends match. This gameplay is from June 7, so took place some time ago, but we’ve been unable to find a gameplay which betters it. You can view the other incredible players and their scores in our Apex Legends world records hub. If you or someone you know thinks they’ve done better, submit your world record to us, preferably with video evidence, and we’ll review it!

Apex Legends Trident trick on Storm Point lets you rotate outside the map – Dexerto
Apex Legends Trident trick on Storm Point lets you rotate outside the map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered you can drive Tridents outside of the Storm Point map, making it easy to rotate without running into opponents. Gun skill and aim will always be the most important aspect of Apex Legends, but being able to rotate effectively is key if you want to succeed consistently as a squad. As the maps in Respawn’s BR are so large, players need ways of traveling long distances quickly, whether that’s Jump Towers, the new Gravity Cannons, or of course, Tridents. While Tridents are incredibly fun to drive, they are quite loud and do put you at risk of running directly into a set of enemies. However, players have discovered on Storm Point that the most effective way to rotate is to take the vehicles into the sea. Tridents can be taken outside the map on Storm Point As Storm Point is an island, it is surrounded by sea and players have discovered Tridents can float on the water, making it a perfect rotation strategy. Showcased by tannerslays on TikTok and posted to Reddit by ErikDaDada, boosting off certain areas of the Storm Point Map in a Trident allows you to hover above the water if you hug the cliffside of the island. This makes it easy to rotate into the ring and avoid any danger on the way, unlike Gravity Cannons which often have enemies camping the landing spots. Just remember not to jump out of the Trident while floating on water, it will result in you being eliminated instantly. While this won’t be a trick worth using every single game, it could be a difference-maker in a high-pressure ranked match where the ring finishes in an awkward spot. With only one Jump Tower on Storm Point, new rotation techniques will always be useful, so just keep this in your back pocket until you find the right time to use it.

Apex Legends Trident exploit gives players a game-breaking rat spot – Dexerto
Apex Legends Trident exploit gives players a game-breaking rat spot Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends Ranked player is using Revenant to turn Tridents into unbelievable rat spots. There are all kinds of ways to hide and play for survival in Apex Legends. From using movement abilities to fly on top of obscenely high places all the way down to the classic ‘hug a corner and stay silent’ strategy, it’s a staple in the high-octane battle royale. Some means are more nefarious than others though, and this latest trick bends the rules and keeps players more protected than should be possible. Apex Legends player campaigns against Trident rat spot exploit The exploit is based around Revenant’s ultimate and requires everyone who wants to hide to activate his totem. After going in, one player will need to grab a Trident and position it over the squad’s dots that mark their entrance into the ultimate. Once it’s in place, everyone simply needs to throw grenades at the ground to trigger the ability’s recall function. When done correctly, they’ll be placed entirely inside the Trident when they return. Apex Legends player DumboJumbo showed off the trick in the TikTok embedded above, insinuating that he’ll post a video of it every day until Respawn finally removes it. Jumbo also combines the trick with a devious Black Market trap where a friendly Loba sets up shop near the Trident and leaves it up after her team grabs what they need. This increases the chance that enemy squads will stop and browse for wares, unknowingly setting themselves up for complete failure when the team inside the Trident makes their move. As with all exploits, it’s better to approach them with caution as Respawn ultimately has the power to decide what’s a bannable offense and what isn’t. Ultimately, it’s best to leave this one for players who are willing to take that risk.

Apex Legends Trident concept would give special ability to legends – Dexerto
Apex Legends Trident concept would give special ability to legends Respawn EntertainmentA new Trident concept would grant special abilities to all characters in Apex Legends while driving them, and it looks like a great way to shake up the game and how Tridents can be used, too. Tridents were introduced in Season 7, offering players faster mobility across the latest map, Olympus, similar to the existence of vehicles that are commonplace in other battle royale titles. One of the main problems with the Trident, though, is that it can leave you fairly exposed when driving them around, especially if you’ve got your whole trio on one. For that reason, one player came up with a genius concept that would allow each Legend to make use of their abilities while driving one — and it would definitely offer something new and exciting to Olympus. Designed by Aason37, every Legend would benefit from these Trident ability ideas. While some abilities seem more helpful than others, and Aason themselves say that some of them “may be a little too much,” it’s definitely worth looking at and seeing what could be possible. These are the abilities Aason has come up with: Crypto: Crypto can activate an automatic tracking drone, following the Trident, scanning the enemies on the go. – Crypto can remotely pilot the Trident with his drone inside, within a 200m radius. Perfect for tricking enemies. – – Mirage: While in the Trident, Mirage can activate a decoy using his tactical, mimicking the Trident. – – Wraith: Tridents can now go through Wraith’s portals – – Loba: Loba can put her Black Market on the Trident. Perfect if the first location was disappointing, or to keep stacking ammo on the go, or to quickly steal stuff in a risky area. – – Wattson: Wattson can put her fences on the Trident. It can be used to “melee attack” enemies. – – Pathfinder: While in the Trident, Pathfinder can use his grapple to take a sharp cut or to gain some height. – – Revenant: Revenant can now place his Death Totem on Tridents. – – Octane: Passive: Octane drives the Trident 20% faster. – – Now, while it might not be likely that Respawn take all of these ideas on, it can definitely give them something to think about. Some of these sound especially fun, too. Juking enemies as Pathfinder in a Trident, making quick getaways through a Wraith portal and getting around even quicker as Octane definitely all sound like something that would be fun to at least try out. Whether this is something the Apex devs would consider doing remains to be seen, but you never know. Apex Legends trick with Gravity Cannons gives Pathfinder huge speed boost – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick with Gravity Cannons gives Pathfinder huge speed boost Respawn EntertainmentA Pathfinder Grappling Hook trick is giving the modified MRVN unit even more mobility on Apex Legends’ Storm Point map. Pathfinder has always been a fan-favorite in Apex Legends thanks to his Grappling Hook, which enables players to quickly reposition and aggressively rush down enemies. However, a new Pathfinder trick is giving the Recon Legend even more mobility. Being able to get the drop on opposing squads or escape unwanted firefights has always been incredibly important in Respawn’s battle royale. After all, maintaining both speed and momentum can be a surefire way to increase your survivability. This makes Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook extremely useful, especially for those that wish to increase their kills on Storm Point. If you’re a Pathfinder main who’s looking to level up their gameplay, then you’ll want to use this speed-enhancing strat. Apex Legends Pathfinder trick gives Legend even more mobility From techniques that give players perfect accuracy to game-changing super grapples, Pathfinder mains are always finding ways to enhance his lethality. While some of these strategies can be hard to pull off, they’re almost always worth learning. Read More: Who is Maggie in Apex Legends? – However, this new Grappling Hook trick is giving Pathfinder huge movement speed boosts on Storm Point. Apex Legends YouTuber, Skeptation, recently uploaded a video that detailed how Pathfinder can use the map’s Gravity Cannons to his advantage. In order to trigger this super speed buff, Pathfinder enters any Gravity Cannon. After exiting the cannon, simply grapple to a nearby object and hold down the crouch button. If done correctly, you’ll get a massive boost to your speed. While this technique is rather situational, it can give you the perfect disengage tool needed to make a quick escape. Consider giving this trick a go next time you drop into Storm Point and use it to style on your foes.

Apex Legends trick with Crypto’s drone makes it harder to destroy – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick with Crypto’s drone makes it harder to destroy Respawn EntertainmentA clever movement trick has been found with Crypto’s Drone in Apex Legends, making it much harder for opponents to shoot and destroy the flying surveillance device. Here’s how you can try it for yourself. Every character in Apex Legends has a unique set of abilities that can give them an advantage in gunfights they take in the battle royale, and Crypto’s skills are focused around his surveillance drone. While Crypto is one of the least played characters out of the Apex Games cast, his drone can be useful to scout out any enemies and mark them for allies in-game. Although his Drone EMP ultimate ability is quite effective, it can be tricky to pull off, as the drone can be shot out of the air before it gets close enough. However, Apex players have now found a trick with Crypto that could make his abilities much more useful than before. As Crypto’s drone makes up a lot of his kit, seeing an enemy destroy it before getting the chance to use it can be incredibly frustrating, but this tactic makes it harder to target. Apex player u/LiTozaVr shared the tip that could improve your flying skills and make it difficult to lock onto the drone, by decreasing the number of sharp turns you make, which slows the drone down, and allowing you to “ground surf.” Here’s how to try it: How to make Crypto’s drone harder to destroy Deploy your drone when playing as Crypto. – Use the vertical descent button (CTRL, B, or Circle) until the drone reaches the ground. – Keep the vertical descent button pressed when moving along the ground. – While flying the drone, you can gain a bit of acceleration by changing the vertical position of the camera. – To achieve the maximum speed of this acceleration, you need to hold the camera at about a 25-30 degree angle. – By doing this, you should be able to build your speed up with each turn and the momentum will cancel out any sharp turns the drone will take. – So, there you have it. Once you follow these steps you should be able to learn the clever technique and improve your Crypto skills for future matches. As this trick can be quite difficult to master, it might be worth practicing it in the Firing Range before trying it in a real match.

Apex Legends trick lets you slide instantly without running – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets you slide instantly without running Respawn EntertainmentPlayers can be routinely seen sliding down the hillsides and slopes in Apex Legends, and while that’s an effective way of getting around there isn’t always time to find a downhill during the heat of battle. Apex Legends has firefights that breakout at blistering speeds which demand players to make quick decisions on their feet. The push and pull of battle can force players to scramble for cover at a moment’s notice. For players that find themselves locked in a fight with no cover, mixing up their movement could be the saving grace to getting an advantage over their foes on King’s Canyon. In a Reddit post, user ‘grilled_steez’ gave the Apex Legends community a heads up on a little known mechanic in the game that offers a surprising amount of versatility when maneuvering in and around an engagement. “If you didn’t already know: you can initiate a slide without sprinting by jumping in a direction and hitting crouch button in the air,” grilled_steez said. “It is very useful for when you have to reload and you’re not behind cover” The clip shows the player forcing the initiative on a battered squad, but when they were mere bullets away from finishing off the enemy Pathfinder, their clip ran empty on both weapons. Instead of trying to run up and hit them in the face like most of us would, the player instead hopped up and slid away to cover, giving them a safe chance to reload then killing off the enemy. Members of the community were impressed with grilled_steez’s movement and were fascinated they hadn’t known before, with one person saying: “I am about to hit Diamond IV in ranked and was not aware of this until now lol.” Other players might want to put a sticky note on their monitor that this is an option, as one person hilariously noted: “The annoying thing about this is, I know that I need to do it, I know how to do it, and when I do it I do it pretty perfect to get into cover for the reload. The issue is, I never bloody remember to do it.” In either case, using the move without a run up is a terrific arsenal to be equipped with, and players looking to incorporate it in their game should get some practice slides in before engaging on a team.

Apex Legends trick shows players aren’t always safe behind cover – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick shows players aren’t always safe behind cover Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends trick has revealed why players can often die behind cover and it looks like Respawn designed it to work that way. After an intense gunfight in Apex Legends, it can often be difficult to identify how you died to an opponent. It’s not uncommon to see Apex players complaining about how they shouldn’t have died, particularly when they were behind cover. In most FPS’s, areas of cover completely shelter a player and force an enemy to push to guarantee the kill. However, Respawn has taken a slightly different approach, giving enemy players the chance to shoot through cover if their aim is incredibly accurate. Apex trick demonstrates why players die behind cover A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit has revealed Respawn’s choice to allow players to shoot through certain cover objects if they’re accurate enough. The video displays a player with a sniper taking down an enemy Lifeline while they’re behind a set of boxes on the Olympus map. At a glance, the bullet seemingly penetrates the boxes and leads to the kill. However, when you look closely, you’ll realize Respawn have added small gaps in the boxes to reward players who have perfect aim. This is a trick that you’ll want to remember when attempting to kill an opponent behind cover. Of course, not every cover object in Apex has a gap to shoot through, but it could be the difference-maker in one of your future gunfights. In a game where restoring your health and shields basically resets a fight, it makes sense players should have the opportunity to finish off enemies behind cover. It’s detailed map design choices like these that give players the opportunity to shine and land incredible shots. Fingers crossed Respawn continues to add features like this in the future.

Apex Legends trick perfectly bamboozles Caustic three times in a row – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick perfectly bamboozles Caustic three times in a row Mirage players have been mastering the art of the bamboozle as seen in a devastating Apex Legends fail that quickly took out a Caustic. The battlefields in Apex Legends can be pretty unforgiving now that players have been learning the ins-and-outs of the game’s roster. With the various hidden movement tricks and new techs discovered by pro players like Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson, good aim alone won’t easily secure a win in the Apex Games anymore. A ton of players have been finding ways of mixing up the limited abilities that come packaged with every Legend, like Reddit user ‘friedel-sama’ who took an opponent through the “adventures of the bamboozle.” Playing as the game’s Holographic Trickster, friedel-sama was taking cover as their team were pinned down during a revive. Soon after, a flanking Caustic made his appearance known after firing a shot to the Mirage who was looking the opposite way. While Caustic might have had an open shot to take out the player, Mirage wasn’t going down so easily and used his abilities to get out of the sticky situation. The player quickly threw down a Psyche Out decoy to buy them some time, which seemed to distract the Toxic Trapper just long enough for friedel-sama to return some fire before activating Mirage’s ultimate ability. Completely cloaked by the Vanishing Act’s effect, the player made a quick break to the door; turning around just as soon as they took a few steps outside. Caustic quickly followed in pursuit to chase down the vulnerable player. But the moment they exited the building, they were quickly locked out by Mirage who snuck back inside while blocking the door’s opening. Trying to keep the opponent from breaking back into the building, the Mirage blocked the first stomp at the door, just to let Caustic know they were there. Well, Apex players have seen that kicking down a door with someone behind it can actually kill the opponent, so it seems like that’s what the Caustic was planning. At that thought, Mirage laid down another Psyche Out to take his place while he moved to the left. Caustic barged in and took a shot at the decoy, giving friedel-sama a perfect chance to counterattack. The clip shows that some players are starting to think like their Legends, leading to some incredibly satisfying outplays in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends trick makes landing the perfect grenade easier – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick makes landing the perfect grenade easier Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community has been steadily finding the best tricks for getting an edge over the competition, and a new trick slides the FOV for better nade usage. While there’s tons of flak from the community toward the Respawn Entertainment devs for monetization in the Iron Crown event and the “freeloader” debacle that came out of it, players in server have been making progress finding better ways to take down their opposition. We’ve seen incredible techniques discovered and implemented like a slide maneuver without needing a run up start or an incredible movement exploit shown off by NRG pro Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows. Adding to the list of handy methods to be armed with, Reddit user ‘Thechaosclown’ gave the community a reminder for how to get the best mileage out of their grenades when a throw is looking a bit too far out there. The player was lining up nade toss to an enemy across the way on the rock pillars near Skull Town when they noticed the nade’s trajectory marker didn’t give them a clear view of where the explosive would go. So the retreated for cover, opened up the game’s Settings and made their way to the Field of View (FOV) under the Video tab. After increasing the FOV from 70 to 84, the player switched over to an Arc Star and went back in for another lineup attempt. This time, Thechaosclown could get a perfect view of the utility’s trajectory, making it way easier to line up the perfect throw to stick the player. After releasing, he landed the Arc Star and the player made a mad scramble for cover. But Thechaosclown was actually able to deal massive damage before the Arc Star even went off. It’s a simple approach to getting the most out of a equipment throw, but like Thechaosclown showed, it can be incredibly useful when a player isn’t sure if the toss will have enough juice behind it. The Apex Legends community is proving to have some of the craftiest players, and this simple FOV trick is a great example of that.

Clever Apex Legends trick helps outplay ‘broken’ melee punches – Dexerto
Clever Apex Legends trick helps outplay ‘broken’ melee punches Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community has been surprised lately at how efficient melee hits can be at disrupting fights, but a slick trick can outplay those punches and swing momentum in your favor. There have been numerous clips showing melee punches sending players flying, with people knocked off the face of the map in some cases. While this is generally more prevalent in the early game, it still has some players wanting a change. Apex Legends Producer Josh Medina acknowledged that some instances can get pretty wild, and was going to see if anyone at the studio was looking into it. Until we get word of any possible balance changes, players have taken matters into their own hands so they can at least stand a chance against melee hits. That’s when Reddit user ‘LGHTWRKK’ noticed that, while you can’t avoid getting sent back from a punch, you can mitigate the risk of getting blasted away by simply crouching. The biggest threat from melee hits is flying off from whatever platform you’re on that will either lead to a cheap death or getting flung from precious loot, leaving you defenseless. Luckily, if someone is trying to punch you out, just hold the crouch button to turn that knock back momentum into a power slide. As seen in the clip, it’s really helpful if you have a weapon while sliding to turn the tables on your foe. But, even if you don’t, at least this way you won’t be sent flying. There’s been plenty of calls for Respawn to nerf melee hits and it looks like the studio is open to finding solutions for that. But until then, players have at least one tool to protect themselves from Apex Legends’ melee punches, which can be really costly at times.

Apex Legends trick lets you use Loba’s cane like an Heirloom – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets you use Loba’s cane like an Heirloom Respawn EntertainmentA strange interaction has been discovered in Apex Legends allows Loba players to use the cane from her Ultimate as an Heirloom. So far, Respawn has released 11 Heirlooms into Apex Legends, each with exclusive animations tailored made for their respective character. Despite this, there are still a lot of Legends on the roster that are waiting for their special rare collectible, and one of them is Loba. Although fans of the Translocating Theif were holding out hope she’d be next on the list after Wattson, more and more leaks are indicating that Crypto will be getting his Heirloom in the next collection event. Despite this, an interaction has been discovered that allows Loba mains to wield the cane from her Ultimate as a make-shift Heirloom, and it’s certainly got Loba mains excited. Loba’s Ultimate can be used as an Heirloom Showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber Skeptation, it’s possible to keep Loba’s cane equipped while removing the hologram animation of the Black Market. This means you can effectively run around with a cane Heirloom, or at least pretend that it’s a melee weapon, as it can’t be inspected or be used to attack an enemy. To perform the interaction, it’s just a case of pressing her Ultimate so the hologram is out in front of you, then simply climb over an open door and the animation should disappear. Keep in mind, you will run slightly slower with your Ultimate out compared to the standard running speed, so be wary of keeping the cane out in heated encounters. Although it’s nowhere near as exciting as a real Heirloom, it does give Loba mains an option while they’re waiting for her rare collectible to arrive. Not only that, as it’s an interaction that doesn’t affect gameplay or present players with advantage, it’s unlikely Respawn is going to fix this fun glitch anytime soon.

Apex Legends trick lets you punch-boost in Season 12, but there’s a twist – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets you punch-boost in Season 12, but there’s a twist Respawn EntertainmentA simple trick in Apex Legends lets players punch-boost in the battle royale after the Season 12 update but the mechanic has slightly changed. At the start of the Apex Legends: Defiance season, Respawn Entertainment targeted the punch-boost maneuver in its list of bug fixes for the game. This largely removed the trick, which was starting to pick up steam in the community. To the dismay of many players, it seemed like punch-boosting was a thing of the past in Apex. But, apparently, there’s a way to still get the tech off, even though it might not have the exact same effect as in Season 11. Apex Legends YouTuber ‘MokeySniper’ showed how people can still get a quick burst of speed by punching the floor but with extra variables to account for. Punch-boost in Apex Legends Season 12 Apex Legends players can still punch-boost by jumping, crouching in mid-air, then melee an object or slope before landing. MokeySniper found that the technique still gives off a slight burst of speed which players could use to bail from a bad situation or reposition in a fight. While it looks like a simple slide, Mokey says there’s more of a technique than that. “Without a sprint start, landing in a crouch will not give you a slide,” they explained. “I also show that you can do it from a box on flat ground and the one off the wall at Estates is a much bigger slide boost than just landing on a slide.” In the past, all players needed to do was crouch then punch the floor to propel themselves in the opposite direction. Now, it’s not as simple. Read more: Apex Legends Season 12 secretly nerfs SMGs – Before, players could trigger a punch-boost just about anywhere. But the Season 12 update has reduced the trick to certain applications with limited effect compared to its original form.

Apex Legends trick lets you move faster while charging your Peacekeeper – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets you move faster while charging your Peacekeeper Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players looking for ways to get around Kings Canyon and World’s Edge easier might not have to look around anymore, because this trick will have you bouncing from place to place in no time – and it’s even better with a Peacekeeper. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title was released some time ago now, in February 2019, and it’s startling to think that some maneuverability tactics that are included in the game are still not known by some of the player base. Seasoned veterans of the Apex Games will know by now that you can sprint, slide, jump and glide around the respective maps with the right circumstances, but the trick we’re going to run through here is a little different – and can be super useful, particularly when using weapons that need to power up. Bunny hopping has had its moments in Apex and is a tactic seen in many other games, where players continuously use a jumping motion to get around. After a previous patch by Respawn prevented bunny hop healing, another technique has been showcased by Reddit user SadCloud420, which shows that using slopes can give you just enough momentum to sustain a really long chain in Apex Legends Season 4. Without a doubt, this isn’t something every Apex player will be shocked to see, although it can be really useful in the situation this poster showed. Using the bunny hop technique, the user shows that the charge of the Peacekeeper can be saved while your character is jumping around, meaning that if you run into enemies while travelling around the map fast using this tactic, you can fire a super charged round at them right off the bat. To do this, simply slide down a ramp – as seen in the video – and while aiming down sight, hop around and the shotgun will charge up along the way. To be able to charge it, for those who don’t know, it will need a Precision Choke attached to the weapon. Knowing what you now know, you can move around the map much faster than usual using this method and also get the best out of your Peacekeeper in the process. Not bad.

Apex Legends trick lets players be “100% accurate” in mid-air – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets players be “100% accurate” in mid-air Respawn EntertainmentOctane has one the most versatile Ultimate abilities in the game as Apex Legends players have found that the Launch Pad can be great for escapes, flanks, and even getting 100% accuracy while in the air. Zylbrad, a longtime Apex Legends content creator, has been using a trick with Octane that mixes good principals of aim with a consistent trend they discovered when jumping off a Launch Pad. The YouTuber found that if you slide into Octane’s Ultimate, aiming down the sights of a gun will yield 100% accuracy. While players will still need to actually get the crosshair onto a target, there doesn’t appear to be any effects like bloom that will deter the shot. “So we can snipe 100% accurately in the sky or use the Devotion and stuff like that,” he said. “No matter what gun it is, it’s 100% accurate.” Though the player can be seen fumbling some shots here and there, when they zero-in on a far target, it’s impressive to see their shot land despite hurling through the air. “As you can see, you’re in fact 100% accurate when you slide into the Jump Pad and you gotta make sure that your momentum is still good,” Zylbrad explained. Having become so practiced with the technique, the YouTuber can be seen hitting Kraber shots from the air with relative ease. The Apex Legends trick-shotter was pulling off crazy attempts in mid-air – a feature they hope the Respawn devs don’t patch out anytime soon. One downside to the strat, however, is that it forces you to be in mid-air for a lengthy period of time. When you jump off a Launch Pad, your trajectory is pretty much set in place, and veteran Apex players will find it pretty easy to scope someone down if they keep flying off like that and making themselves vulnerable to a long-range shot. Topic starts at 4:14 People have had a ton of fun finding out how to use Octane’s Launch Pad to either make it lethal or find interesting rotations, and this is the latest example of that. With Season 5 being praised as one of the most balanced states of Apex Legends, it would be interesting to see if Respawn decides to nerf this trick.

Apex Legends trick lets Octane and Horizon fly better than Valkyrie – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets Octane and Horizon fly better than Valkyrie Respawn EntertainmentOctane and Horizon have been known to combine very effectively in the past, but this trick will allow you to fly even higher and better than Valkyrie in Apex Legends. We’re deep into Season 9: Legacy, in the world of Apex Legends. For many fans, it might be unthinkable that even now players are finding ways that their favorite characters can complement each other’s abilities – especially considering these two have been around since Season 1 and Season 7 respectively. However, teamwork is one of the most important factors if you want to exit the Apex Games as a Champion. In the past, people have brought both of them together to send Horizon soaring way higher into the air than usual, and it appears that trick was the building blocks for something even greater. Apex Legends trick lets Octane & Horizon fly On June 11, a post on the Apex Legends subreddit from user BeanBag373_ showed Octane and Horizon mains everywhere how it is done. Using the Jump Pad and Gravity Lift, the team is able to make the former work as an elevator in the air. To do this, it appears that they place the Jump Pads on the ground, and then by throwing the Gravity Lift into the air above, it drags the pad upwards. From there, by continually hopping up with the Jump Pad, you’re launched higher into the sky than even Valkyrie can manage. In the full video on YouTube, posted by BeanBag, you can see how it works to their advantage in the late game. How it works Timestamp in the video below at 3:12. On Reddit, the Apex Legends community absolutely lapped up the technique – with one even going as far as saying a new Horizon voice line is in order. Paying homage to the cryptocurrency boom of 2021, user NullAnony said: “I’m goin to the moon, darlin” should be added to the game. Whether or not this will be patched in the future remains to be seen, but it’s certainly going to be fun while it lasts. To the moon!

Apex Legends trick helps you land the perfect skynade every time – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick helps you land the perfect skynade every time Respawn EntertainmentThere’s a trick in Apex Legends to throwing the perfect grenade and making sure it lands at its target – luckily there’s a consistent, albeit tricky, way of landing them every time. Hitting the perfect grenade from long-distance takes a ton of practice and ample amounts of misses before getting a feel for the distance. Different ‘nades have different learning curves to master. Arc Stars don’t travel the same way as normal Frag Grenades, and the formula for throwing a good grenade gets turned on its head when playing as Fuse. That’s why Apex players were thrilled to see a simple trick by Reddit user ‘alanarmando103’ that basically lines up the UI with a foolproof way of landing skynades. If a target is around 53 to 57 meters away from where you pinged them, simply line up the throwing trajectory with the marker and fire away. The Redditor found that at FOVs 80 to 100, you can line up the grenade’s toss with the diamond marker and it should land at your target with some consistency. This is simply using a reference that the game gives you to chuck the nade closer to where you want it to pop. While the technique might be a little niche for in-game application, the Redditor says it could be a valuable way of perfecting your tosses. “Also, this is just a reference,” alanarmando103 said. “My intention is with time and practice be able to guesstimate the distance more quick and accurately without the need to ping the target.” People could get punished for using the technique in the battle royale, but it could come in handy in the more focused action in Arenas. With enough time and practice, this could be a great way to work on your throws to slowly perfect on-the-fly skynades.

Apex Legends trick lets you jump and escape opponents while downed – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick lets you jump and escape opponents while downed Apex Legends players have found a clever way to jump while in a downed state, giving players extra manoeuvrability when trying to stay alive after losing a gunfight. Apex Legends is a battle royale title that sees teams of three drop into the game’s Kings Canyon map, with each squad battling to stand tall as the last one standing, earning the crown of Apex Legends Champion. With enemy squads bearing down and attempting to eliminate you, players can often find themselves knocked down, so finding somewhere to hide until your opponents can revive you is imperative if you want to get back in the action. How to jump while downed on Apex Legends With survival the only goal when you find yourself knocked down by an enemy, looking for a safe spot can be crucial, and the difference between continuing the match or heading back to the loading screen. With movement restricted to a crawl while down, this can often be a difficult task, with many safe spaces out of reach or difficult to access due to the lack of mobility. However, one Apex Legends player seems to have found a way around this issue, by figuring out how to jump while in a downed state. To perform this extremely useful trick, players simply need to hold the sprint and jump buttons simultaneously, which will allow players to jump into the air as if they were standing. Players cannot use any of the movement buttons while performing this trick, as this will immediately cancel the jump, but they can be used once the player’s character is in the air, which should allow you to jump onto crates and elevated platforms with a little practice. It’s not clear if this is an intended design inclusion by Respawn Entertainment, or if this is a bug, with the developers almost certain to address it in a future update if they feel that it’s an unintended mechanic in the game. With that in mind, Apex Legends players should perhaps make use of the trick while they still can, and put the incredibly useful trick to good use before Respawn patch it out of the game.

Apex Legends trick guarantees purple items drop from MVRNs – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick guarantees purple items drop from MVRNs Respawn/EAThere’s nothing like finding some rare loot during an Apex Legends match, and now players have found that there’s a way to greatly increase your chances of getting purple items from the MVRN robots. MVRNs were, like a lot of things in Apex, featured in the Titanfall games first. Pathfinder has always been the droids representative in Respawn’s battle royale, but even more of the robots appear on Olympus. Starting in Season 7, they began appearing around the map, offering up their arms and giving players the chance at different levels of loot through a slot-machine type mechanic. Now, players have found it’s possible to increase your odds of getting the good stuff. According to Reddit user hotstickynsweet, if you press the button to loot the MVRN when the screen on its chest is white, “you will get purple every time.” It’s not as simple as that, there’s also a bit of timing as you have to press the button as soon as it changes to white, otherwise you risk getting stuff you don’t really need. Some players will argue that it’s not white, but blue when you should interact with the MVRN. By all means continue with whatever works if it’s getting you loot, but if you’re constantly getting white or blue drops, trying to start on white could be worth a shot. It could come down to the refresh rate on your monitor, or simple human reaction time, but either way there is definitely a pattern that can be learned and mastered to massively increase your chances of purple items. Not saying this will assure you wins, but being able to grab high level loot does increase your chances of making it through the first few circles, at the very least. As we mentioned, the MVRNs have been in Apex (not counting Pathfinder) since Season 7 and the premier of Olympus. Season 9 is coming up though, and it remains unknown if the lovable droids will still be around then, so be sure to use them while you still can.

Apex Legends trick takes Gibraltar’s Ultimate to another level – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick takes Gibraltar’s Ultimate to another level Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been blown away – quite literally – by a devastating new Wraith and Gibraltar combination that could easily help you win your next match. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale is no stranger to powerful combinations, with each character having to work in unison to wipe out enemy squads. Each Legend on the roster has the chance to bring an ally up. From hilarious Pathfinder and Crypto tricks, to deadly Wraith and Wattson plays, Legends can work together in unique ways. However, a stunning new trick involving Wraith and Gibraltar might just be the most impactful combo to date. Even though experienced Apex players have been grinding for over a year since the game first release, ranked veterans are stumbling upon new mechanics. Throwing out their Gibraltar Ultimate on a whim, Reddit user ‘dwesmap’ was left stunned when the Defensive Bombardment rained down in a completely different location. As the squad made its way closer to the opposition, they discovered a Wraith portal. Left scratching their heads, it seemed as though the Ultimate followed the enemy team through to the other side. Although players are unable to throw grenades through Wraith’s portal, it appears as though Gibraltar’s Ultimate is an exception to the rule. Accidentally throwing it through an enemy portal didn’t lead to any surprising kills this time around. But if combined with a friendly portal that leads straight to an enemy team, it could be brutal. Given both characters that were available Apex Legends’s, it’s a surprise that it took until now for players to stumble upon this powerful feature. There’s no telling if this is an intended feature or simply a bug that popped up in the midst of combat. Either way, expect to see plenty of teams recreating the insane trick in the near future. Be sure to keep your wits about you when fighting an enemy squad with Wraith and Gibraltar in the lineup. You never know when a barrage of missiles might rain down on you from out of nowhere.

Apex Legends trick can level up EVO shields using MRVNs in Season 12 – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick can level up EVO shields using MRVNs in Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered that you can level up your EVO shields by shooting and meleeing MRVNs in Season 12. Apex Legends Defiance arrived on February 8 and alongside it came the Rebel Warlord Mad Maggie, the 9v9 Control LTM, and of course, the revamped Olympus map. However, due to all of these major additions, a lot of the smaller changes got overlooked by the community, even though some of them are extremely useful to know. One of which involves the MRVNs scattered across the Olympus map. While the majority of players know these helpful robots provide loot when you interact with them, in Season 12 they now offer EVO shield damage when you shoot or melee them. Olympus MRVNs now offer EVO shield damage in Season 12 Before Season 11, EVO shield damage was limited to enemy Legends, then Respawn added wildlife on Storm Point and decided to give players a small amount for killing creatures. This meant that if you were a small amount of damage off upgrading, you wouldn’t have to waste crafting materials or wait for another encounter with a set of opponents. Now, in Season 12, the devs have added a small amount of EVO shield damage when players melee or shoot MRVNs. As showcased by YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, they provide 40 to 50 damage in total, making them perfect if you’re only on the verge of leveling up your shield. As this change wasn’t noted in the Defiance patch notes, it’s hard to know whether it was deliberate or accidental, but it’s possible they’re just following the trend set with the Prowlers, Spiders, and Flyers on Storm Point. Either way, it’s a useful trick to know in the middle of a match, as it could get you the upgraded armor needed to pick up a victory.

Apex Legends trick solves ‘annoying’ issue with Mirage’s decoys using a Jump Pad – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick solves ‘annoying’ issue with Mirage’s decoys using a Jump Pad Respawn EntertainmentThere’s a way to prevent Mirage’s clones from clumping up in mid-air after using Octane’s Jump Pad, giving Apex Legends players a simple fix to an “annoying” issue. Mastering Mirage’s decoys can be tricky since they often have odd behaviors in Apex Legends. But one player solved one of the more frustrating interactions between the clones and Octane’s jump pad that should make it easier to bamboozle oppositions. While Mirage mains usually have high IQ outplays up their sleeves, they can oftentimes be derailed by a decoy that’s not doing their job. That goes double when the outplay happens to be a life-saving maneuver that beckons the player to use every tool at their disposal while playing with the Holographic Trickster. Whether using Octane’s Jump Pad defensively or offensively, Mirage players should be familiar with the “clumping” that occurs after activating the Life of the Party ultimate while in the air. But Reddit user ‘ThatGuyDes’ showed that that can be easily avoided by simply getting your double-jump off after turning the ult on. When performed correctly, this looks exactly as the ability should; your decoys appear in the air and replicate your movement which started with a jump. Since the copies move out in all directions themselves, their jump will effectively have them raining down on the field and be much more effective than if they just dropped to the ground. As for people who have trouble with Mirage’s clones clumping on the ground, the user suggested not activating the ult on terrain that would naturally kill the decoy. “If it looks like a spot that would kill your tactical, try not to use your ult there,” they said. “It can also happen when you slide jump and your decoys drop when you’re still in the air. They’ll start moving once you hit the ground again, but it can really mess up a push.” Mirage can be a tricky character to use correctly, but these kinds of tips will make his ability kit much more manageable to use in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends trick allows for infinite distance on Pathfinder Ziplines – Dexerto
Apex Legends trick allows for infinite distance on Pathfinder Ziplines Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends trick allows Pathfinder players to fire their ultimate ability, Zipline, for a much greater distance than normal. Though Pathfinder was revealed to have one of the largest hitboxes in the game, he’s remained popular both for the utility he provides and the amusing quips of the character himself. Pathfinder is already one of the most mobile Legends in the game, but Apex Legends players have discovered a useful trick allows them to extend the range on his zipline almost indefinitely. In order to extend the range of the zipline, Pathfinder players must first aim it at a surface within range. After doing so, they can move backwards and the projection of the zipline’s path will remain linked so long as they don’t move their mouse, as current solo kill world record-holder Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson demonstrates. The requirement of running backwards away from the point you wish to fire to does put some limitations on the trick – it can’t be used to reach points that you haven’t yet been within range of, for instance. That being said, the ability to place an extremely long zipline could very well come in handy, allowing teams to rotate even faster around the map or enabling Pathfinder players to scout ahead alone and create a quick path for his team across great distances, for instance. Considering that Pathfinder’s ultimate only takes 90 seconds to charge, this trick only adds to the massive area that players can cover in very little time, especially if they have some Ultimate Accelerants to hand.

Apex Legends trailer reveals two new gold weapons for Season 5 – Dexerto
Apex Legends trailer reveals two new gold weapons for Season 5 Respawn/EAEagle-eyed Apex Legends fans have spotted gold versions of the R-99 SMG and Spitfire in the Meet Loba trailer, fueling speculation that they could be the new weapons in season five. With season four at its end, Apex Legends fans have been digging through all the new trailers and hype for season five in the hopes of uncovering new changes before Respawn announces them. Some have already spotted multiple ultimate charging stations – outside of the two obvious spots that were shown in the gameplay trailer. Yet, the newer trailer, revealing Loba’s abilities and in-game animations, may have revealed two brand-new golden weapons for season five. With the trailer finally confirming Loba’s set of abilities, her much speculated on ultimate – Black Market Boutique – was revealed, allowing her and her teammates to steal two pieces of loot each from within a certain range. As the ability was demonstrated, eagle-eyed fans noted that Gibraltar had picked up a gold version of a Spitfire – something that hasn’t been released in previous seasons. On top of that, as Loba is selecting her item and picking up the Kraber, a gold R-99 SMG can also be spotted in the top right-hand corner of the menu. Again, like the Spitfire, this is completely new. Timestamp of 0:55 for mobile users With their inclusion in the trailer, fans believe that all signs point to these golden weapons being used in season five. In previous seasons, five different weapons have been rotated into golden versions with the HAVOC, P2020, Prowler, Sentinel, and R-301 Carbine being used in season four. If the Spitfire and R-99 are the first two golden weapons for season five, that would leave an additional three spots to be filled. However, as Respawn hasn’t yet dropped their patch notes and confirmed the new additions, we’ll just have to wait and see if they hold up once the update for the new season is released.

Apex Legends trailer reveals locations of four new ult-charging points – Dexerto
Apex Legends trailer reveals locations of four new ult-charging points Respawn/EAApex Legends’ season five trailer may have given fans a look at additional ultimate charging stations scattered around Kings Canyon as it appears that there are more than two as previously believed. With the hype for Apex Legends season five building to fever pitch, fans of the popular battle royale have been trying to get an early look at what the developers have in store for them. Respawn has already revealed Loba as the new legend, as well as a few map changes, but a new feature really has players buzzing. The ultimate charging station was revealed in the gameplay trailer as Gibraltar was able to get a Defensive Bombardment barrage raining down in an area that is meant to be situated around Wetlands. Yet, there appears to be more than one. Reddit user Ponsobnie noted that if you give the gameplay trailer a closer look, you’ll see more than the two obvious ones that were on show – the supposed Wetlands area and the cliff edge that Loba teleports up to. According to the Redditor, there appears to be an additional charging point in the center of the crane structure that is shown just before the charging station is revealed. There is also, supposedly, another one close to the apparent Wetlands area that is shown in the trailer. If there are two charging stations pretty much on top of each other, that would no dominate lead to some interesting fights – especially if you’ve ultimates like Defensive Bombardment, Rolling Thunder, and Lifeline’s Care Package. Obviously, we won’t have long to wait to see if Ponsobnie’s theory turns out to be correct. After a small delay, Apex Legends season five will launch on Tuesday, May 12 – so we’ll get to see everything from the new map changes, the all-new cosmetics, and everything else that Respawn has in store.

Apex Legends trailer may have teased new Season 6 Legend ability – Dexerto
Apex Legends trailer may have teased new Season 6 Legend ability Respawn EntertainmentThe release of the Apex legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor launch trailer has hinted at many changes coming to the game. However, some think it’s also teased an ability for the next after Loba. A new trailer was released just days before the arrival of Season 5 on May 12, which shared a full look at the latest character Loba Andrade, and changes to Kings Canyon. However, some fans believe that Loba was not the only new character to have a presence in the trailer, after an ability resembling something from Rampart’s kit, a leaked Legend, was seen in action. Rumors around the release of Rampart started to spread following leaked game files in February 2019, which also predicted the addition of Wattson, Octane, Crypto, and Rosie (who has been renamed Loba ahead of Season 5). While little has been heard about Rampart for some time, one of his leaked abilities allows him to place a mounted turret on the ground. A data miner believes we may have now seen the turret in action. Apex Legends data miner ‘Suum’ was among the few who noticed the turret in the trailer, which appears around the one minute mark for a split second, and suggested that it could be a teaser for Rampart in Season 6. The color scheme on the device is similar to Rampart’s expected look, according to a leaked image of upcoming Legends. https://twitter.com/The_Suum/status/1258851737751953408 “This will maybe be reused for Rapmart’s Turret in S6” Suum explained, revealing which Legend he was expecting following the release of Loba. Rampart’s other leaked abilities are similar to that of an engineer, with a wrench rumored as his melee weapon that can repair any damage dealt to structures, as well as strong synergy with LMG’s in his kit. You can see all of Rampart’s leaked abilities here. When rumors first began to spread about the Legends, many believed that Rampart was likely to be next in line following the release of Crypto and Loba, although Forge has also been highlighted as a potential character too. As of now, it is unclear which future Legend Respawn has shifted their focus to, and if this bizarre device resembling a mounted turret in the trailer is a sign of things to come.
