  • The Simpsons intro gets epic recreation in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

The Simpsons intro gets epic recreation in Animal Crossing: New Horizons YouTube: Great-Bit Arcade[jwplayer 2rMfqMm4]An Animal Crossing YouTuber went viral after re-creating The Simpsons’ iconic intro in New Horizons. The player’s incredible mashup is one of the best things you’ll see today. Animal Crossing: New Horizons took the world by storm after making its debut in March. The latest release in the long-running franchise introduced new features such as the ability to shape your village however you see fit using terraforming. The new mechanic has sparked the imaginations of millions of users on social media, and one creator went viral after using the tool to bring The Simpsons to the social-simulation title. Their re-imagination of the classic cartoon’s intro is the perfect crossover. The Simpsons re-imagined in Animal Crossing The Simpsons made its debut in 1989, and has gone on to become a juggernaut in pop culture over the last three decades. In 2020, the animation is in its 31st season. To celebrate, a player re-created the show’s intro in New Horizons. Gaming YouTuber ‘Great-Bit Arcade‘ uploaded their mind blowing creation to their channel on July 29, and quickly went viral. The video carefully re-creates the animation’s iconic intro, which follows the Simpson family throughout their town of Springfield. The fan creatively used assets from Animal Crossing to create the town’s nuclear plant, before hilariously cutting to their character writing on a chalk board in school while wearing Bart Simpson’s signature outfit. Great-Bit’s video meticulously recreates every scene, from Maggie and Marge driving to Lisa playing her saxophone in school. The YouTuber even created a couch gag with the Simpson family walking in to find Tom Nook and Isabelle taking up all the space on their sofa. Animal Crossing’s latest release has been a major success for Nintendo. In a quarterly report posted in August, it was revealed the social simulation title has sold over 22.4 million units – making it the second highest-selling game on the console. New Horizons’ terraforming tool has encouraged players from around the world to share their creations on social media. Fans have reimagined things from Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away to Avatar: The Last Airbender using the game’s new feature.

  • The gang plays Animal Crossing with hilarious Always Sunny recreation – Dexerto

The gang plays Animal Crossing with hilarious Always Sunny recreation FX/Nintendo[jwplayer WExrkpZM] A superfan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia combined their love of the hit show with Animal Crossing: New Horizons for an incredible Paddy’s Pub recreation. Since its release, Animal Crossing fans have been redesigning sets from movies, tv shows, and other games thanks to its seemingly endless creation tools. Now, it’s time for the hit FX comedy series to get its turn. Redditor ‘chipolthey’ posted the sleek design to Animal Crossing subreddit to great success, racking up over 6,000 up-votes from fellow players. For the most part, the design is pretty spot on with the brick wall interior, green doors, barstools, and booths. There’s no mistaking that this is a bar that has seen better days. Even some of the wall paintings and pictures look like they were ripped directly from the show, really bringing the pub to life. The pub even has pool and foosball tables, and dartboard just like the one in the show. Perhaps the best part, however, comes in the form of the bird manning the bar. As any Always Sunny fan knows, one of the running jokes is how Deandra ‘Dee’ Reynolds, played by Kaitlin Olson, is constantly referred to as “bird” by other characters, such as her brother Dennis. The creator made a point to acknowledge this in their post, writing that the bar even featured Dee as an attraction. “I really lucked out having Sandy on my island. She’s even got the tacky eyeshadow that Sweet Dee has in the earlier seasons hahaha,” the Redditor wrote in the comments. For fans of Always Sunny, recreating the famous bar in Animal Crossing is a great way to pass the time until the next season rolls out. Back in May, FX announced that the show had been renewed for a record-breaking fifteenth season. With it, Always Sunny will surpass The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest-running live-action comedy series.

  • Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away recreated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away recreated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Studio Ghibli / NintendoBest-rated anime movie of all time, Spirited Away, is Studio Ghibli’s masterpiece – and fans are really loving recreating it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. Spirited Away is Japan’s most successful film ever, grossing over $347 million as viewers fell in love with Hayao Miyazaki’s fantasy world. It follows the story of Chihiro, a 10-year-old girl who accidentally slips through to the spirit world of Kami. After her parents are transformed into pigs, she takes up a job at a bathhouse in order to find a way to switch them back and return to the real world. It was even voted as the top anime movie ever made by over 170 critics, and is often touted as one of the best films of the 21st century across all genres. Fans love it so much, they’ve even brought it over to Animal Crossing, and recreated their favorite places and scenes so they can experience the magic for themselves. Spirited Away in New Horizons Reddit user ‘zavj‘ decided to recreate the boiler room from the movie, and absolutely smashed it out of the park with their design. In one of the most famous scenes, Chihiro encounters the soot sprites – tiny balls of dust also known as Susuwatari that assist in powering the bathhouse – when tasked to find a job by Lin. Using star fragments, the fan remade the scene from the film where candy is scattered to feed the sprites – almost like a farmer does when feeding chickens. The game’s Custom Designs tool was used to place the dust bunnies on the ground. Boiler room master Kamaji’s bed is also there, along with his teakettle and jars, which tie the whole thing together and gives off the perfect anime atmosphere. Another fan, ‘denohmarie,’ created the outside marketplace in Spirited Away, where Chihiro’s parents are first turned into pigs for eating the spirit food. The street is filled with vendors who sell various wares, and stalls with custom designs on are used to replicate that. Cherry blossom and paper lanterns light the way and pull everything together, looking like a scene ripped straight from out of the anime movie. Many believe that the mountain town of Jiufen, Taiwan was the inspiration for the setting, though Miyazaki has never said this outright. Studio Ghibli fans are a talented bunch, but that’s not the only series players have brought to Animal Crossing – Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, and EarthBound are just a few examples. If these creations don’t make you want to go and watch the movie, we don’t know what will! We know what we’re going to be doing later…

  • Students are using Animal Crossing: New Horizons to “graduate” college – Dexerto

Students are using Animal Crossing: New Horizons to “graduate” college Nintendo (via David Garcia, Facebook)Since schools and colleges are closed for the foreseeable future due to current worldwide events, New Horizons players have taken their canceled graduation ceremonies into their own hands and celebrated finishing their education in Animal Crossing instead. March 20 saw the release of the highly anticipated Animal Crossing game for Nintendo Switch with New Horizons. It had been almost seven years since the last mainline entry in the franchise, so fans were understandably ravenous for the next installment. The game ended up smashing sales records in Japan, swiftly knocking Pokemon Sword & Shield off the top spot for the fastest selling title on the handheld console. Many players have been using the life simulation to escape from reality during self-isolation, and some have even taken their gameplay to the next level by setting up graduation ceremonies to mimic their now-canceled real life ones – because if you’re gonna celebrate finishing college anyway, why not do it in-game? An Animal Crossing graduation On March 28, Twitter user WhimsyWool shared a gameplay video of a group of friends “graduating” in New Horizons, with all of them aptly wearing graduation attire, titled “How students are going to graduate in 2020.” One person stood at the front handing out diplomas, while others sat down on chairs and watched as a student walked on-screen and used an emote to mimic accepting their hard-earned achievement. Everyone then clapped, as the individual sat down in their chair and waited for the next person to come along – much like a real-life graduation ceremony. How students are going to graduate in 2020.#AnimalCrossing #ACNH #NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/IIxPNLgXyc — Wool (@WhimsyWool) March 28, 2020 On the same day over on Facebook, another user shared screenshots of his in-game celebration with friends. Again, wearing appropriate attire, they all sat down in chairs as one person stood at the front to accept their accolade – this time, using a surgeonfish instead of an emote. Everyone in attendance wore a surgical mask too, which is highly appropriate given current world events and the unfortunate reasoning behind their canceled ceremony. “Since we won’t be able to graduate in real life, we decided to graduate in Animal Crossing,” the caption read. The post, uploaded to the ‘Animal Crossing Memes’ group, quickly went viral with over 11,000 likes, 2,000 shares, and almost 700 comments at the time of writing. With New Horizons being a great distraction from real world goings-on right now for many people, it’s hardly a surprise that it’s being used to host gatherings like this – especially with everybody practicing social distancing. Speaking of events, the first official in-game Bunny Day kicks off on April 1 in celebration of Easter. Zipper T. Bunny will be visiting towns until April 12, and hiding eggs that can be used to craft special themed clothing and furniture.

  • Simple Animal Crossing New Horizons trick makes catching tarantulas easy – Dexerto

Simple Animal Crossing New Horizons trick makes catching tarantulas easy Nintendo via BukanPokemonCatching tarantulas or scorpions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be a dangerous affair, but a clever trick to keep the dangerous critters at bay can help with the hunt. These eight-legged creatures get aggressive with you if they detect that you’re trying to catch them, making it vital for players to create some distance between them to avoid getting bit. To accomplish that, take out your shovel and dig up seven holes in the shape of an ‘H,’ preferably with the parallel lines running horizontally to the left and right. This essentially makes a little cubby that not only gives you a barrier from the bug, but also traps the tarantula on the other side of the ‘H’ since their blind rage will keep them running toward your villager. The entrapment will only hold them for so long, but it should give a player enough time and space to comfortably add the bug to their collection. A funny example of how two of these traps can be utilized simultaneously comes from user ‘BukanPokemon’ who set up two of them on either side of a Mystery Island while trying to catch scorpions. Though there was a “little drama while trying to catch the scorpion,” it was actually a great clip to show how this trick can make for the perfect fail-safe in case the player gets into trouble. If the tarantula or scorpion manages to make their way out of the enclosure, then keep your cool and simply run to the opposite side of the island where you should have another trap. The bug will chase you, as is their nature, but you can rest easy knowing that once you make it to the perpendicular line inside of the ‘H’ your villager will simply hop over it. Simply turn around and repeat the attempt to catch them. If it goes wrong again, just run to the other side until you get it. This technique basically takes away all of the anxiety from seeing a tarantula rushing at you with its eight legs of terror. One of the most disheartening parts of a Tarantula Island run is finding one of the valuable bugs just to get bit and make it disappear upon revival. You can completely prevent that from happening with a bit of Animal Crossing ingenuity for keeping the pricey critters at a safe distance.

  • “Scary” Animal Crossing New Horizons villager glitch is ruining paradise – Dexerto

“Scary” Animal Crossing New Horizons villager glitch is ruining paradise NintendoAnimal Crossing players are calling for Nintendo to fix a “scary” villager glitch which is leaving them with empty plots after adopting unwanted villagers, before the bug completely spoils New Horizons’ paradise. The highly-anticipated Animal Crossing sequel released on March 20. Considering it’s been almost seven years since the franchise’s last main entry, players have — very understandably — been grinding the game pretty hard. For the most part, everything’s gone swimmingly for the mega-release — until now. A “scary” villager glitch, sparked by the loving act of adoption, seems to be ruining paradise, and Animal Crossing players are pretty grumpy. PSA: there’s a pretty bad bug in ACNH that hasn’t been patched yet. If a friend has a villager “in boxes” because they’ve been forced out via campsite visitor, DO NOT adopt them. Could result in a glitched spot. This reddit post explains it in detail: https://t.co/2CNK2jp5Cf pic.twitter.com/KGG5N1DjSz — NintendoFanGirl (@NintendoFanGirl) March 28, 2020 The new bug, discovered by Animal Crossing player Barnse and shared by CeciliaCrescent on the Bell Tree Forums, is certainly a worrying one. With only ten plots on your island, one being unuseable can be pretty frustrating. But how does the glitch happen? Basically, if a villager was forced off another player’s island, and you adopt them, they will bug out the new plot. The now-unusable area will simply read “_‘s New Home.” The evicted villager will never arrive. It’s worth noting villagers who leave other player’s islands of their own accord aren’t affected by this bug for whatever reason. Make sure you check before trading — if the new villager is “thinking of leaving,” you’re good to go. How to fix Animal Crossing’s missing plot glitch Luckily, until Nintendo rolls out a server-side fix, there is a workaround for the villager glitch. These require you to follow eight steps to recover the missing island spot, but it’s worth it to recover your glitched plot as soon as possible. Here’s the process to recover your glitched plot: Make sure you have one plot open, as well as the glitched plot (occupied by Vil.1). – Go on an Island Tour and find a villager (Vil.2) to invite to your island. – The new villager (Vil.2) will now occupy the bugged plot, but look like the house of the old villager (Vil.1) who was originally in the glitched spot. – Make sure a new house, which you cannot enter, has also appeared on your island. This is part of the process to fix the bug. – Check your map, and make sure it looks like this. – Now make Villager 2 move out. You can force them out via campgrounds, but this is risky, so use ‘time travel quicker’ where possible. – Visit Villager 2 and confirm they are moving out. If this has worked, they will have a sad expression on their face, and a “!” above their head. – Once Villager 2 moves out, both houses will disappear. This will leave two empty plots on your island, both of which can be accessed again! – So there you have it — the best way to get around the bugged plot until Nintendo responds to the issue. Hopefully, they’ll be preparing a patch to solve the issue as soon as possible, but it never helps to be proactive either! When is Nintendo expected to fix the villager glitch? Nintendo are yet to respond to this plot-munching bug, but they are aware it’s been wreaking havoc in Animal Crossing. It did take a little bit for the bug to be flagged though — according to Kattastic, they were the very first to report it. Thankfully, the devs are now working on a fix. Abbreviationz, who spoke to the help team on March 29, revealed “they’re in the process of fixing, but can’t fix the bug without messing up other bugs right now, so this could take… maybe a week.” The last big bug which plagued New Horizons — an item copying exploit — lasted just a few days before update 1.1.1 “fixed a serious bug affecting game balance.” If that’s anything to go off, this new glitch shouldn’t last long either. Not everything in Animal Crossing’s new release has been copying bugs and vanishing plots either, which is good. Hilariously, New Horizons has even become a place for students who will miss their graduation to run their own instead. There’s also plenty of stuff to do while you’re waiting for Nintendo to roll out the missing plot patch. You could undertake some terraforming on your island — we have four great ideas to do — or you could learn how to time travel too!

  • Pokimane loses it over Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ most annoying bugs – Dexerto

Pokimane loses it over Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ most annoying bugs Twitch: Pokimane / NintendoTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys lost it during her Animal Crossing: New Horizons broadcast when she was continuously bested by the island’s pesky bugs. Animal Crossing saw the release of its latest installment New Horizons on March 20. The relaxing social simulation game was a much needed break for players, as they were whisked away to their very own uninhabited tropical island. However, Twitch personality Pokimane found aspects of the laidback title frustrating, as the land’s wildlife seemed to get the best of her. The streamer lost it when she struggled with the game’s bug catching mechanics. Pokimane loses it over Animal Crossing’s bugs The latest Animal Crossing title has taken Twitch by storm, as popular streamers such as Pokimane have been playing it for their viewers. In the series, players are given a net to catch insects and wildlife, however the Moroccan-Canadian has been struggling with this mechanic. In a hilarious video she uploaded to her YouTube channel on March 27, the star compiled clips of her being bested by the island’s inhabitants. “He was literally in my net!” the streamer exclaimed, after an insect escaped her catching attempt. In another clip, Poki gets chased by a tarantula, only to get bitten after failing to capture it. She then lost it when another of the bug crawled away from her into a hole, and began to jokingly break down ‘crying’ before ranting, “They got into the water! They fall off ledges! They go into holes!?! Holes!?! Just stay where I put you!” (Timestamp 02:41 for mobile users.) Catching insects wasn’t the only thing she had trouble with. She also became frustrated with the game’s fishing, as she accidentally scared off a fish after trying to re-position her hook in the water. Faced with another hard lesson about the games design, she found herself being swarmed by wasps after chopping down a tree. Only problem is, since she was visiting another island, she had no buildings to run into for cover. “Oh no, no, no, no! How do I lose them? Oh my God! I can’t go indoors!” she exclaimed, before admitting defeat and getting stung by the pesky insects. While the streamer seemed to struggle with the creatures, she eventually managed to capture a spider running at her and celebrated the victorious moments – something that all AC players can relate to. Animal Crossing originally made its North American debut in 2001 on the GameCube, and the adorable simulation franchise has gone on to become a cultural phenomena. Despite releasing a week ago at the time of writing, New Horizons has already become the fastest selling Switch title to date in Japan.

  • Pokemon’s Pallet Town remade perfectly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Pokemon’s Pallet Town remade perfectly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / The Pokemon Company / Game FreakA creative Pokemon fan has created Pallet Town in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’ll make Nintendo fans feel all kinds of nostalgic for their childhood days spent playing Red and Blue on Game Boy. Pallet Town was first introduced in the Generation I Pokemon games on Game Boy. Red, Blue, and Yellow players started off in the town as a budding trainer, and lived alongside their friend and rival, and Professor Oak. From there, they embarked on a journey down Route 1 and into the unknown, hoping to one day become the Champion of the Kanto region. While many played the games as a child, one talented fan has brought the starting town into the modern day with a brilliant re-creation in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. Pokemon’s Pallet Town in Animal Crossing Twitter user ‘LinkMigue’ shared the creation on March 30, and showed off just how detailed their work is in the form of a video. In the clip, he emerges from the player’s house, before taking a walk around the area as a tour of sorts. Not only have they included all the buildings from the original games, they even added in the water route to the south which infamously provides a direct way to Route 21 and Cinnabar Island – provided you could use Surf, of course. To top it all off, the player wears the Pokemon Trainer outfit too, which really ties the whole thing together and makes us want to design our own islands after the Kanto region. ¿De qué me suena todo esto? #AnimalCrossing #ACNH #NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/I4lrgfe5pu — Migue (@LinkMigue) March 30, 2020 If this has given you a hankering to revisit the Game Boy games, you actually don’t need to dust off the old handheld console to do so. In 2018, Nintendo released Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! for the Switch – a remake of Pokemon Yellow. Like the retro titles, players begin their journey in Pallet Town, and go through all the steps the 1998 game did to become a successful Trainer and reigning Champion. If you’re after a new experience, though, Sword & Shield is available on the handheld console and transports fans to the Galar region for a whole new set of monsters and surroundings. Animal Crossing: New Horizons released on March 20 after almost seven years between mainline entries in the series. Fans were understandably hungry for the game after so long – so much so, that it broke sales records in Japan on its opening weekend to become the fastest selling Switch title to date. Players are obviously enjoying their time on the island, especially people like LinkMigue. And it makes you wonder, will we eventually see an entire Pokemon map remade in the game? We can only wait and see.

  • Pokemon player recreates Black & White 2 in Animal Crossing New Horizons – Dexerto

Pokemon player recreates Black & White 2 in Animal Crossing New Horizons Reddit: JJKDowell / Nintendo[jwplayer dWIP3S6z]A Pokemon fan has recreated Aspertia City from Black & White 2 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s so good, it’ll give you a serious urge to dig out your old Nintendo DS and play the Gen V games. Released in 2012, Pokemon Black and White 2 are the final paired games in Generation 5. They brought along two new forms of Kyurem, and updated features such as Hidden Grottoes, Unova Link, and Legendaries from Hoenn and Sinnoh. Another difference between the original titles and the sequels is that the player starts off in Aspertia City instead of Nuvema Town. It is the only hometown in the entire series to be a fully fledged city and also to have its own Poke Center. A skilled player has brought the famed B&W2 location to the latest Animal Crossing game on the Switch, and it’s certain to take you on a trip down memory lane. Pokemon Black & White 2 comes to Animal Crossing Reddit user ‘JJKDowell‘ is the genius behind the cool creation, layering the iconic music from the starting town over their clip of New Horizons gameplay for that ultimate nostalgic feeling. They start off the tour by fishing in the pond next to the player’s house, before going down a path adjacent to the water to find a hidden item. Then they head to Hugh’s house, who is the rival in the sequel games and the childhood best friend of your character. Next comes the most important choice of all – which starter Pokemon do they choose? In Gen V, the three choices are Grass-type Snivy, Fire-type Tepig, or Water-type Oshawott, and the rival gets the one which is strongest against the player’s pick. JJKDowell ends up going for Snivy – a wise choice. In the games, Juniper’s assistant Bianca gives the player their starter as opposed to being gifted it by the Professor. This isn’t the first time the two franchises have merged, showing just how much fans truly love everything Nintendo. Players have created locations from Gold & Silver, Sword & Shield, and more. • Pokemon player brings Sword & Shield to Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Pokemon player brings Sword & Shield to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / Game Freak (via Bulbapedia)Pokemon Sword & Shield’s fairy town Ballonlea comes to Animal Crossing: New Horizons at the hands of a talented fan who merged the two Nintendo games together in the perfect crossover. Pokemon Sword & Shield kicked off Generation VIII with giant success to become the fastest selling Nintendo Switch title upon its release in November 2019, only recently being knocked off the top spot by Animal Crossing: New Horizons in March. With the two Nintendo series being powerhouses in their genres, it’s no surprise that many fans are creating crossovers between the two games. We’ve seen epic battles brought to the life simulator, as well as actual locations from the RPG series being recreated. And now, a skilled player has designed the forest town of Ballonlea from Gen 8 – and it looks absolutely perfect! Sword & Shield’s Ballonlea recreated In the game, Ballonlea is home to the Fairy-type Gym where players must defeat Opal in order to score her badge. The town is situated in a dense forest, and can only be accessed by making your way through the Glimwood Tangle. One of the key features of the mystical location is the abundance of luminous mushrooms, which light everything up for the perfect fantasy vibe. Reddit user ‘NeonNarro1‘ is the brains behind the magic, and modeled the outside of their house to mirror the Gym. Using New Horizons’ mushroom lamps, the atmosphere of the secluded community truly comes to life. Sword & Shield’s Galar region is loosely based off of the United Kingdom, and in the games, the location’s buildings are modeled to look like Tudor cottages. In another shot, the fan shows off their town entrance, using hyacinth lamps and Custom Design floor patterns to mimic the woodland theme. Flowers also line the pathways to add to the forest-like feel. The neon lamps, again, really pull everything together, making for the perfect crossover between the two beloved Nintendo Switch games. If this has caused you to get bitten by the Pokemon bug, you’re in luck – Sword & Shield is getting its first DLC expansion titled The Isle of Armor very soon on June 17. The new addition includes new monsters and G-Max forms, as well as new environments such as swamps, caves, and sand dunes.

  • Pokemon player brings epic Gym battles to Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Pokemon player brings epic Gym battles to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / The Pokemon CompanyA creative Pokemon fan has brought the game’s Gym battles to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, making for an epic unofficial crossover we all wish was real. The Pokemon Company has collaborated with Animal Crossing before: in Pocket Camp, players were able to obtain Eevee-themed clothing, accessories, and furniture for a limited time. Sadly, there’s no way of sending those items across to New Horizons, which has left fans itching for an official crossover. There have been many recreations made in the Nintendo Switch game, as players show their love for the RPG Game Freak series, and now one fan has found a way to bring Trainer battles across – though it just makes us yearn for a real collaboration even more than we did before. Pokemon battles in New Horizons Reddit user ‘Arcanine2567‘ is the brain behind the operation, bringing the two series together in the most epic way. When you think about a fan re-creation, you’re probably imagining some Custom Designs on a shirt, or using the game’s furniture to replicate a location, but this player used floor patterns and the pathway tool to create theirs. Pitting Generation I starters Bulbasaur and Charmander together (the Fire-type would obviously win, in every way – he’s our favorite), the fight takes place outside by a waterfall for that added Gym effect. They even included some floor lights for atmosphere as well. While it looks like a simple arrangement, it’s scary to think about how many Custom Design slots it took up to create the playing field – there’s horizontal and vertical lines, corners, the Pokeball in the middle, and the Pokemon themselves. This isn’t the only time players have made creations from their favorite Game Freak series: there’s been Sword & Shield, Stadium, Pallet Town, and more. It just goes to show just how much fans love the two Nintendo franchises, and how badly they wish an official crossover would happen in New Horizons – who knows, maybe it will in the future.

  • Pokemon player brings Battle Frontier to Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Pokemon player brings Battle Frontier to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / Game FreakA skilled Pokemon fan transformed their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island into the Battle Frontier from Emerald – and it looks amazing. Pokemon Emerald is Generation III’s version of Crystal, in that it added various new features to become what is basically known as the definitive version of Ruby and Sapphire. When it released in North America in 2005, it became the second highest-selling title of the year, proving just how eager fans were to jump back into the Hoenn region. The Battle Frontier was just one of the additions the Game Boy Advance game brought, and it allowed powerful Trainers to fight each other in the post-game in order to progress through different facilities and earn Points. When Gen III returned in 2014 with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the fighting area was replaced with the Battle Resort. Battle Frontier in Animal Crossing: New Horizons ‘Work_In_Progress095‘ decided to recreate the Frontier in their game of New Horizons, and used the terraforming tool to manipulate their town’s rivers and cliff tops in order to make the location. Their island’s entrance mimics the GBA title’s entryway with potted plants, chairs, and stands that replicate the reception area. Stone archways are placed further up from the lobby, and lead into the actual arena. All this is surrounded by a river in order to match the ocean in Emerald. In the GBA title, the location could only be accessed by taking the S.S. Tidal ship from Lilycove City or Slateport City after defeating the Pokemon League. Obviously it’s going to be difficult to be able to completely mimic certain buildings in Animal Crossing, so the Pokefan used the museum to replicate the Battle Arena, which is lead by Area Tycoon Greta in Emerald after beating the Factory. They again used a stone archway for the entrance, and then planted bamboo trees around the front to add in the greenery. Stone stools act like the rocks from the 2005 title, and benches are used in place of cliffs. Even though they’ve used the museum in place of the Arena, the building looks strikingly similar and is the perfect fit. The player also added in other features from the Frontier, such as the Factory, Dome, Pike, Pyramid, and the Palace – geniously using Nook’s Cranny for the latter. Topping it all off, they brought Legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre into their island by using a red monster statue and an Archelon torso – because it wouldn’t be Gen III without them. Though, Rayquaza is sadly missing. In Emerald, Rayquaza could be found atop the Sky Pillar where the player only had one chance to fight and capture the Dragon-Flying type. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has proven popular with many since its worldwide release on March 20 – and not just Nintendo fans. In fact, it smashed sales records in Japan alone, shifting over six million copies in just its opening weekend alone, soaring it to the top spot of fastest-selling Switch title to date.

  • PewDiePie explains why Animal Crossing: New Horizons is “stressful” – Dexerto

PewDiePie explains why Animal Crossing: New Horizons is “stressful” YouTube/PewDiePie/NintendoYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg used his platform to demonstrate why, while some say Animal Crossing: New Horizons is relaxing, it’s really not. In his video, uploaded on April 15, Kjellberg was playing the game and getting the hang of the recent Switch title when he began to make his case. “When Jack (Jacksepticeye) told me about this game, he was like, ‘Oh, Animal Crossing, you should play it. It’s so fun and relaxing.’ No it’s not!” the YouTube king exclaimed. According Kjellberg, anyone who claims Animal Crossing is relaxing is a liar. (Timestamp 5:50 for mobile viewers) “The game has mortgages and it has stock markets,” the Swede said before diving into the the turnip game. “And don’t even get me started on the stress with Easter,” he laughed. “Imagine you’re playing an RPG and you’re trying to level up. But all of a sudden the game introduces RPG Easter Mode and then everything that gets you experience points are cut in half because instead you get eggs.” Animal Crossing’s Easter Celebration, or “Bunny Day,” was certainly stressful for members of the community, who were outraged by how many eggs they were getting. Despite the stress of the event, which ended on April 12, for the most part, Felix seems to be enjoying his time playing Animal Crossing – even in the face of stresses with the stalk market, mortgages and never-ending eggs. New Horizons was extremely well-received by critics and fans. According to the review aggregator site Metacritic, the game has an overall rating of 91 with 102 critic reviews. The game also sold very well in Japan, where it became the fastest-selling Switch title to date, beating out the likes of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Who knows what the future of the game holds, but hopefully PewDiePie joins in and continues to play.

  • PETA under fire for TikTok campaign against Animal Crossing fish tanks – Dexerto

PETA under fire for TikTok campaign against Animal Crossing fish tanks Nintendo EPDPETA has used fish in Animal Crossing for their latest virtual protest and, in doing so, somehow angered thousands of animal-lovers and gamers alike. PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, appears to have mistreated Animal Crossing and, once again, whiffed on an effort to strike a topical chord with today’s culture. In their latest gaffe, the organization shared a TikTok video in which they mounted a virtual protest at Blathers’ museum, picketing with signs and yelling at the game’s beloved museum curating owl to “empty the tanks!” Instead of the viral support for a “cultural reset” they presumably hoped for, the organization has been met with general condemnations of simple misguidedness and more specific shots at their hypocrisy in a classic example of a popular Twitter account getting ‘ratio’d.’ For one, Blathers is an owl, making his harassment feel…misplaced. For another, people have pointed out that, in order to protest at all, PETA would have had to catch the fish and offer them to Blathers’ museum—hypocritically breaking their own vegan guide to Animal Crossing. A cultural reset 🦉🐟 #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons pic.twitter.com/2kfMnTUeRX — PETA (@peta) May 19, 2020 It’s like wanting to protest someone wearing a fur coat and, to do so, killing a litter of adorable minks, crafting the coat, and then pouring red paint upon yourself. The whole thing just feels like a reach and one in the wrong direction. Yes, animals deserve advocacy, and, outside of the obviously inhumane fur industry, there is legitimate discourse to be had surrounding hunting, meat consumption, and wildlife captivity. But, as many have pointed out, Animal Crossing is a video game. While people live amongst anthropomorphic animals, they also get into some fishing and bug hunting. If PETA believes that gaming behavior can be intrinsically problematic for the real world, then wait until they find out about Call of Duty. Then, wait until they hear about some this year’s Academy Awards winners: Parasite, Joker, and 1917. This isn’t PETA’s first attempt to strike out at gaming content instead of real-world abuse; their 2012 Pokemon Black & Blue flash game—in which players played as Pikachu and battled against abusive trainers—is the most popular example. And this latest campaign is, again, a miss. The organization has over a million followers on Twitter and Instagram apiece, but, at the time of writing, they’ve managed to hit just 2,760 on TikTok. This is surprising for an app so dominated by Gen Z, a generation known for its activism and environmentalism. But it speaks to tone-deaf messaging. While the organization has followed their video up on Twitter by calling their Animal Crossing campaign “tongue-in-cheek” and mocking people “crying about PETA raiding islands to free the fish,” they continue to miss the mark. Although it may be exaggerated, the video is not at all tongue-in-cheek as it simply reiterates their earlier article about the game. And no one is complaining about them raiding islands, no one even thinks that they raiding islands—since whoever’s island it is must be the one to put the signs down themselves, thanks to Nintendo’s griefing rules. PETA has most certainly succeeded in raising pitchforks for their “#BlathersIsOverParty,” but those pitchforks have been pointed at their uncouth marketing instead of a pixelated owl.

  • Paralyzed Animal Crossing player goes viral with unique setup that helps them play – Dexerto

Paralyzed Animal Crossing player goes viral with unique setup that helps them play YouTube/Biggys Lets PlaysAnimal Crossing New Horizons is one of the Nintendo Switch’s biggest titles, thanks to its casual appeal and massive charm. Little do some players know, however, that it can be enjoyed by literally almost anyone – even those who are paralyzed. Gaming while paralyzed can be quite difficult, but there are gamers who have found a way to make it work. That said, it becomes increasingly challenging when you lack motor function in your hands. Luckily, a Redditor and YouTuber by the name ‘Biggy’ has found a solution that lets him play with both hands despite the aforementioned issues. Taking to Reddit, the user explained that he is paralyzed from the chest down, with “significant” loss of motor function in both hands. But, thanks to an app, he’s able to play the title with his hands. As you can see in the video, he’s able to make use of the JoyCon Droid, an app that transforms a smartphone or other device into a JoyCon – or even Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. With this at his disposal, the player is able to catch a fish just like anyone else would in-game. “That app syncs via Bluetooth directly to the Switch console, meaning I can access all the intended functions of the game without the hassle of all the extra wires,” Biggy explained in a YouTube video. “I’m able to enjoy the game fully thanks to it.” Many Redditors were impressed by the setup. The post quickly went viral, amassing over 56,000 upvotes and a ton of awards on the site. “Neat! I have a genetic condition that’s gradually affecting my right hand, it’s nice to know nothing will take ac from me. Although that means I have no excuse for abandoning the seagull,” one user wrote. “It makes me exceptionally happy when I see things like this. Life is really hard, and it just makes me emotional getting to see someone enjoy something that so many people take for granted, and that they might not have gotten to do otherwise,” another chimed in. Hopefully, this video inspires more people to start gaming regardless of issues they may be facing physically.

  • Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons neglect is the biggest missed opportunity in gaming – Dexerto

Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons neglect is the biggest missed opportunity in gaming NintendoAnimal Crossing: New Horizons couldn’t have released at a better time. With everyone stuck at home looking for a way to escape reality, the Nintendo Switch game was a vacation from the real world for many. How did it go so wrong? March 2020. A month out of many that a lot of us will remember for being confined to our houses, only venturing outside for essential grocery shopping or a medical appointment. With so much spare time on our hands and a feeling of uncertainty and anxiousness hanging in the air like a black cloud about to burst with rain, we looked for something, anything, to take our minds off of reality. Right on cue, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released on the Nintendo Switch. An angel sent from above – finally, something to make the days a little brighter and whisk us away to a cheery island where thoughts of what was happening in real life were non-existent, replaced with terraforming ideas and feng shui plans. It seemed like a game that fans would be able to ride out the next few months with until life regained some normality. Nintendo promised greatness – but unfortunately, over a year on – hasn’t delivered. Updates have been scarce, big features are still missing, and a huge chunk of the original player base hasn’t visited their town in months, leaving weeds to grow and their villagers to fend for themselves. Just what is going on? Animal Crossing: Bleak Horizons When the game first launched, much-loved features from earlier entries in the series like Crazy Redd’s black market were missing. Nintendo promised frequent updates which would slowly add extra content in, though, and for a while, they did. Leif made his return, followed by the shifty salesman, and more. Holiday events were also left out, with the developer adding them in just beforehand via patches, assumingly to stop ‘time travelers’ (people who adjust their in-game clock to skip ahead) from being able to access exclusive items before they’re supposed to. All of this was understandable at the time; I mean, the world is falling apart, right? Things are going to take more time than they usually would. But as the months went on, updates became more scarce, with features being more underwhelming than the last. While the latest patch – 1.10.0 – was added in May, the only new content it brought were items, with the rest being repeat events from 2020. The last time players got anything substantial was back in March with the Sanrio collaboration and the Custom Design Pro Editor+. Nintendo should have delayed it But that’s not enough, though. Not for some fans. “Where is Brewster?” echoes loudly throughout Animal Crossing Twitter. “When is the cafe coming? What about Tortimer?” And they’re right to be upset, honestly. It isn’t fair that a game many waited eight years in anticipation for and prayed excessively to see every E3 season was released half empty, with updates coming three times a year. It isn’t good enough. The bottom line is, New Horizons should have been delayed. Yes, it would have sucked to wait even longer but at least the features that should have been there at launch would be. And if Nintendo wanted to add in extra content afterward via updates, great – it’d feel like a bonus rather than a necessity required to enjoy the game. Even the collaborations feel weak in the sense that there’s so much missed potential there. The Super Mario set was good, but the Sanrio crossover was locked behind amiibo cards that were scalped to high heavens and barely anyone could get their hands on. It’s cheaper and easier to buy unofficial, handmade ones on Etsy. How is that fair? And are more collabs coming? It’s easy to imagine that 2022 might be a better year for New Horizons as the world is slowly but surely gaining some of its normality back. But with the way Animal Crossing has been treated in 2021, I’m not holding my breath. And even if, by some miracle, Nintendo does pull an amazing, mother-of-all update out of its hat, it’s probably too late to ever get the game’s popularity back to where it was at the beginning of last year. As a fan since the GameCube days, begging my great grandmother to gift me Population: Growing for Christmas when I was eight years old, it’s tough. It’s a series that is close to my heart and I was so obsessed with the Switch title, putting 400 hours into it within the first three months. But it’s impossible to ignore that much of the excitement was because of the promise the following months would be filled with amazing updates that made the game better. It feels like I was fooled. Read More: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD review – And I’m not alone here. If you look in Animal Crossing Facebook groups and online forums, there are countless tales of people giving up after hundreds of hours because there is nothing else to do; they’ve completed the museum, fully upgraded their house, and no update is adding anything substantial to further their playtime. If Nintendo had made New Horizons complete from the start, it would still be a big success.

  • Nintendo is killing Animal Crossing: New Horizons by stopping support way too early – Dexerto

Nintendo is killing Animal Crossing: New Horizons by stopping support way too early NintendoAnimal Crossing: New Horizons just got its biggest patch to date with the 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise on November 5, 2021. But unfortunately, it’s the Nintendo Switch title’s last DLC in a surprising move that is way too soon and will send the game into an early grave. New Horizons arrived at the perfect time in March 2020. The world had just entered a global lockdown and people were stuck at home. The Nintendo Switch game was a light in the darkness for many, a beacon shining down from the heavens. Now they could escape real life to a deserted island where the only stress was making sure your turnips didn’t spoil. Pure bliss. The game was missing many beloved Animal Crossing elements on release, though, such as characters like Reese & Cyrus and Katrina, diving (which they later added), and Brewster and his café. Nintendo promised regular content updates but that didn’t happen for long and the player base plummeted as cries for new features rose. Finally, the developer revealed a huge patch for November 5, 2021, but stated it is the last one. Nintendo is retiring support for Animal Crossing: New Horizons prematurely On October 15, Nintendo released a Direct that showcased the new 2.0 patch and the paid Happy Home Paradise DLC, a sequel to Happy Home Designer on the 3DS. Players were ecstatic about the new content, with many planning to return to the game and reset or flatten their islands in preparation to start again. But then it was revealed that there are no more “major” updates on the way, both free and paid. For a game that was released with so much missing, it just feels as though the developer is missing the boat. Fans waited months for a substantial content update only to be told “Here you go, don’t expect anything else. See you in seven years for the next Animal Crossing!” The thing is, New Horizons’ very core is based on real-time. It’s not like other life simulation titles where each ‘day’ only lasts for 20 minutes; you can celebrate Christmas with your villagers on actual Christmas Day, and go trick-or-treating on October 31. That’s the magic of Animal Crossing. And life doesn’t stop just because Nintendo isn’t adding any more “major” updates. There are countless holidays that the game doesn’t acknowledge like Labor Day, Weeding Day, and April Fools Day, all of which will probably never be. And it’s a real shame because this is where previous entries in the series such as New Leaf and Wild World oozed charm and felt special. Where are the collaborations? The idea of no more content updates is depressing as someone who grew up with the series, playing the first Animal Crossing on GameCube at seven years old. New Horizons just doesn’t feel the same as the others I’ve spent thousands of hours playing. With it being the most modern, fresh entry out of them all, you would expect regular updates, even if it’s just to add in some new items or cosmetics every now and again. There’s so much untapped potential with collaborations too. Where’s the Pokemon collab? Kirby? Granted, we got Super Mario which was amazing, but then we also got Sanrio which is locked behind amiibo cards no one can get their hands on unless they pay a scalper double the price on eBay because Nintendo thought it was a great idea to make packs Target exclusive (in the US). It’s not good enough. It is also sad that Pocket Camp, a mobile game, has more support, collaborations, and updates than New Horizons. And this fact has sealed the game’s fate. Yes, update 2.0 is fresh and exciting but what about when it gets boring and everyone’s unlocked everything? Fans will have to wait years for the next installment and it’s not 2002 anymore. The internet exists and there’s no excuse for a year-old game to be abandoned this early on. It’s not like the demand isn’t there. You don’t have to spend ages combing the internet to find countless Facebook posts, Twitter threads, and forum boards asking for quality-of-life changes, certain furniture sets, or specific elements to return from other games. Players are literally telling Nintendo what they want and they completely refuse to listen. And not that I agree with it, but I am willing to bet that some fans would even pay real money to unlock certain features like hairstyle and furniture packs: that’s how much people want more. Just look at the hype surrounding Happy Home Paradise, players are HAPPY splashing out $24.99 for it and would probably pay more if the price was higher. But it is a huge missed opportunity that will never happen and it is, simply put, tragic.

  • Viral Netflix show Tiger King makes Animal Crossing: New Horizons debut – Dexerto

Viral Netflix show Tiger King makes Animal Crossing: New Horizons debut Nintendo / Screenshot: NetflixTwo of 2020’s biggest viral sensations in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and documentary series ‘Tiger King’ have finally had their long-awaited crossover, after a fan mixed the two together in a hilarious fake-trailer crossover. Netflix struck solid gold with the release of Tiger King in March. The true-crime documentary miniseries focused on zookeeper Joe Exotic, and his big cat collection. More than 34 million people watched it in its very first week. It makes complete sense then, that another massive hit from this year would eventually play host to Joe Exotic’s story: Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo’s follow-up to their huge social sim franchise equally exploded in 2020. There’s already been plenty of crossovers in Animal Crossing so far: Pokemon, Breaking Bad, and Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away have all debuted in Nintendo’s island-based title. Now it is Tiger King’s turn, and it’s as wild as you’d expect. Redditor ‘elpinko‘ was the architect of the crossover. The talented fan even went beyond just adding Joe Exotic and Carol Baskin to the game — they mocked up a near-perfect trailer, based entirely in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The 1:38-minute animated trailer opens with the familiar Netflix drum roll— though this time it was “Nookflix” — before cutting to a New Horizons-styled Joe Exotic saying his now-viral line: “I’m never going to financially recover from this.” All the popular characters from the show were present in elpinko’s hilarious trailer too — Joe Exotic T.V. producer Rick Kirkham, John Finlay, Bhagavan ‘Doc’ Antle, and the infamous Carol Baskin all had star roles in the crossover clip. The Tiger King was clearly a hit in the Animal Crossing universe too, considering the reviews elpinko added. Tom Nook dubbed it “absolutely outrageous,” while Timmy and Tommy echoed it was the “best thing [they’d] seen.” According to elpinko, the Animal Crossing-Tiger King trailer took “about a week and a half” to put together because they had to make all the outfits, build the set pieces, act out the scenes for the trailer, and edit it — but we’re glad they did! The fantastic trailer creation now begs the question: which popular franchise will we see in Nintendo’s cartoon world next? We can’t wait to see!

  • Mizkif loses it after long search for rare Animal Crossing bug pays off – Dexerto

Mizkif loses it after long search for rare Animal Crossing bug pays off Twitch: Mizkif / NintendoTwitch streamer Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo lost his mind during his March 29 broadcast, after he finally caught a rare bug in Animal Crossing: New Horizons after a 10-hour search. Animal Crossing’s latest installment New Horizons hit stores on March 20 and has been a smash success. The lovable simulation title has swept Twitch as streamers have been playing the laid back game for viewers. However after 10 hours of trying to find the rare cicada bug, Mizkif exploded with happiness when he finally captured it. The personality was brought to hysterics after pulling off the feat. Mizkif loses it after capturing rare bug New Horizons drops players off on a tropical island where they can build their very own town. The game also features a mechanic that allows you to capture insects and creatures with a net. After four hours of trying to find a cicada, Mizkif finally found one sitting on a tree. “Is that it!?” he screamed to his chat. With his mouth still hung open in shock, he made his way closer to the bug and exclaimed “I think that’s it!” The streamer then slowly inched his way closer to the side of his prey and raised up his net. However the attempt to capture it went horribly wrong as he hit the tree instead and scared it off. Frustrated, he threw his hands up into his face. Hours later, he managed to score a second chance as he stumbled upon another of the rare creature. Not wanting to mess up again, he took his time strategizing with his chat before going in. “Like if I do this, that’s not gonna f**k it up,” he said positioning himself in a straight line in front of the tree this time. He then managed to catch the cicada with his net and screamed with joy. “YES! YES! Oh my God, finally!” The Twitch star continued to yell. “Finally! It’s been like 10 hours!! That took forever dude!” he exclaimed. His roommate entered the room after hearing the commotion and asked “Are you okay?” Mizkif replied with “I f**ing did it!” before jumping into his friend’s arms. This isn’t the first time Mizkif has put in a ton of streaming hours to complete a task. In December 2019, he overcame the rage-inducing title Jump King and freaked out after finally reaching the end. The streaming personality continues to be one of the most watched channels on Twitch, as his intense dedication to games draws in thousands of viewers.

  • Mizkif left speechless after depressing Animal Crossing autosave fail – Dexerto

Mizkif left speechless after depressing Animal Crossing autosave fail Twitch/MizkifTwitch streamer Mizkif was left heartbroken after learning that Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn’t always autosave – resulting in him losing a rare fish. On March 22, the entertainer was hunting for a golden trout – one of the rarest fishes in the game. After trying for quite some time, the streamer freaked out when he managed to reel it in. “Wait, what?!” he exclaimed. “YES! YES! YES!” Overjoyed and maybe even a little relieved, Mizkif leaned back in his chair and extended his arms in victory, fist-pumping the air. “Yes!” he screamed again in triumph. “Yes, dude. Oh my God, that took forever. That was like two-hundred tries.” “Nice, man! Finally,” he smirked, quite pleased with the results. Unfortunately, his victory would be short-lived as he ended up losing it because of an autosave snafu. Shortly thereafter, the streamer went on to try to catch more fish and decided to change the internal date on his Switch as some fish are only available in certain months. “Lets time-travel a little bit to March,” he said as he exited the game. “Let’s travel back in time so Macayla stops yelling at me.” However, Mizkif’s chat immediately alerted the streamer that he didn’t save and would lose the rare fish he caught, causing his eyes to grow wide in horror. “Wait I didn’t save?” the streaming finally stated after a few speechless moments. “I don’t need to save, right? It autosaves, doesn’t it?” “You just closed the f**king game?!” Macayla roared. “It doesn’t autosave!” Upon loading back into the game, the streamer was saddened to learn all his hard work had been for nothing. “Why do you think it would automatically save for your fish?” she asked. “You idiot! You are so stupid. Dude, you are so dumb. What makes you think it saves for a fish?” For anyone playing Animal Crossing, don’t make the same mistake Mizkif did. Always remember to save on your own and don’t trust a title to automatically save your progress. It may come back to haunt you.

  • Make millions from April fish & bugs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Make millions from April fish & bugs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: triforcemeg)One of the biggest questions in Animal Crossing is how to earn Bells to pay off Tom Nook’s house loan. Fishing and catching bugs in New Horizons is a big money maker, though, especially in April. April is a great season for Animal Crossing players, what with the cherry blossoms and Zipper T’s Bunny Day event in celebration of Easter. It also happens to be a great month for fishing and bug-catching, too – which means a great month for your wallet. A New Horizons player has put together a list of critters you should be catching in the Northern Hemisphere over the next few weeks in order to rake in the Bells and make some sweet, sweet deposits into your savings bank account. Best April fish & bugs in New Horizons Reddit user ‘Kflame210‘ shared their chart to the Animal Crossing subreddit, which shows just what you need to be catching in order to get the most out of your fishing and bug-catching trips. The bottom tier, Don’t Bother, includes critters worth 500 and below; Meh shows ones 1,500 or less; Now We’re Talkin with 5,000 and under; and Oh Baby! with anything over that. Flies, fleas, and ants are have the lowest selling value at 60, 70, and 80 Bells, so it’s really not worth lining your pockets with those if you’re looking to earn a pretty penny. Squid, zebra turkeyfish, and neon tetra all fetch 500 a piece, but still not enough if you’re going for the big bucks. Tiger beetles can net you some cash if you turn in enough of them as they’re worth 1,500 each, but if you aim higher, you should really be going for anything in the Now We’re Talkin category or above. Barred knifejaws are one of the more popular candidates for raking up the Bells, and you’ll get 5,000 per piece for your efforts. Wasps are also okay, but you’ll only get 2,500, though it’s good if you’re planning on shaking trees – why not catch them for some easy money while you’re at it? The big bucks are made from coelacanths, golden trout, and barreleyes at a whopping 15,000 a pop, though they’re rare so you’re really not going to run into them too often. Crafting some bait will help you though, and you can scare off anything that’s not a decent size to increase your chances. New Horizons has been a smash hit with Animal Crossing fans ever since its release on March 20. It’s understandable, though, as they waited an agonizing six years for another mainline entry in the series. The game did so well on release, it actually smashed sales records in Japan to become the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title to date in just its opening weekend alone.

  • How to make millions from Animal Crossing money trees with time travel – Dexerto

How to make millions from Animal Crossing money trees with time travel NintendoBelieve it or not, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Bells literally grow on trees, providing an inventive way to pay off your debts to Tom Nook with a unique twist in the game. The concept of money trees isn’t new to the Animal Crossing series. New Horizons continues this tradition, featuring the extraordinary return of this rare method for generating Bells, defying the conventional belief that money doesn’t grow on trees. Money trees have long been a part of the Animal Crossing franchise. It came as no surprise that the newest entry, New Horizons, saw the glorious return of the rare bell-making scheme that defies the age-old saying “money doesn’t grow on trees.” For most, planting their 10,000 bells and digging up three times that amount days later is second nature in New Horizons. It’s an easy way to make a little extra cash, and finance that much-needed extra bridge. But you can dream even bigger still. Contents How to grow money trees – How long does it take for money trees to grow? – How to make millions with money trees – Do money trees regrow? – Can you move money trees? – Money trees not growing – Consequences of time travel – How to grow money trees in Animal Crossing? Here are the basics: every day there will be a glowing spot hidden somewhere on your island. Dig it up to find some bells — often just 1,000 — but don’t fill the hole in! Instead, bury 10k bells in this new hole, and you’re well on your way. How long does it take for money trees to grow? A few days later, your tree will be fully grown, and you can snag a whopping 30k bells for your efforts. But what if you could reliably turn your simple 30k money tree into a 100k money tree without the fear of losing bells? Here’s how. How to make millions with Animal Crossing money trees Money trees are always good for a little extra cash. As your island continues to grow though, your ambitions become bigger — like terraforming your entire village — and you’ll need every last bell in the bank. The problem is, money trees have a risk factor to them. Planting 10k bells is the safest choice, because you will always get 30k in return. Some Animal Crossing fans live on the braver side, though, burying up to 99k. They often lose their bells. There is a solution though — time travel. Mucking around with your Switch’s date settings is a surefire way to guarantee your 99k bells get turned into 297k: Find a rare glowing dig spot for your money tree. – Bury 99,000 bells, and confirm a sapling has sprouted. – Go to the home screen and close Animal Crossing. – Head over to System Settings and select “date and time.” Turn off the “synchronize clock via the internet” option here. – Set your time and date to 40 years in the future, e.g. If you are doing this on May 13, 2021, make sure you go to May 13, 2061. – Open Animal Crossing back up and check your tree. It should have a guaranteed 297,000 bells waiting for you! – If you’re going to avoid the time travel glitches, we recommend only planting 10k for each of the money trees you uncover. It’s the safest way to avoid losing cash, and 20k profit for just finding a rare digging patch ain’t bad either! Do money trees regrow in Animal Crossing? Unfortunately, once the Bells have been plucked from the tree and popped into your pockets, the money tree reverts back to a standard, green ole’ Hardwood tree. Of course, though, if you’re time traveling, this shouldn’t be an issue as you can find a new glowing spot full of Bells every day. Can you move money trees? Yes, you can! Once you’ve planted the tree, feel free to dig it up and place it wherever you want on your own island. Money trees not growing If your money trees aren’t growing, make sure that you haven’t planted them close to other objects, such as trees, next to rivers, or by cliff faces. Consequences of time travel in Animal Crossing Be warned, using the time-traveling glitch in New Horizons doesn’t come without its dangers too. You may not get in trouble for ‘cheating’ the game, but there are a few things that could happen to your island you may be wary of. From losing streaks, to having villagers wanting to move out, and gaining a bedhead, our time travel guide will fill you in on all those pesky cons. You may have vanished into the future to bag those free bells, but the world continued on without you for a while. Of course, this method of gaining bells may leave a sour taste in some player’s mouths. It’s technically a bug or “cheat.” Plenty of fans are keen to stick to more lawful ways of making lots of bells in their Animal Crossing adventures, and that’s fine too. Kiki’s Delivery Service remade perfectly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / Studio GhibliStudio Ghibli’s hit movie Kiki’s Delivery Service comes to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in what could possibly be the cutest fan crossover you’ll ever see. Kiki’s Delivery Service is one of Japan’s top-grossing animation movies. Winning countless awards and shifting millions of copies, it’s a classic masterpiece that everybody should watch. It follows the story of Kiki, a 13-year-old witch who ventures away from home with her cat Jiji in order to complete her training. One thing that many Animal Crossing players love is Studio Ghibli, and we’ve seen that many times with Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle. Now, a Kiki’s fan has brought the whimsical movie to the game, and it’s absolutely adorable. Kiki’s Delivery Service in Animal Crossing Before taking off on her adventure, viewers are given a small glimpse into the young witch’s bedroom in a scene where she asks her father if she can take his radio along with her. Reddit user ‘notjoejonas’ recreated the room in their own house in New Horizons. The floral wallpaper they used is almost an exact replica of the one in the movie, and they nailed the bookcase and chair placements. Even the chair is there, and the books by the bedside table tie everything together perfectly for the most charming replication. The fan even dressed their character up as Kiki for that final finishing touch, using a red bow ribbon in her hair, and wearing a purple dress with the famous brown crossbody pouch. All that seems to be missing is Jiji, though we imagine he’s prowled off on an adventure of his own. If this has given you the itch to watch the Studio Ghibli movie, you can catch it on HBO Max in the US, or Netflix in the UK. The groundbreaking animation celebrated its 30th anniversary earlier in 2020, as new generations of kids continue to fall in love with the adorable witch.

  • Huge Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak suggests major update coming – Dexerto

Huge Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak suggests major update coming Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)A massive datamine has unearthed several lines of code that heavily suggest that some major features are on the way for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When New Horizons released on March 20, veteran players were disappointed that certain characters and features familiar to the series had been cut in the Nintendo Switch release, such as swimming and diving, Crazy Redd’s Furniture Emporium, Brewster’s cafe, and a gardening store. Notorious Animal Crossing dataminer Ninji took a deep dive into the game’s code, and discovered several things that hint at features that could potentially be heading to the life simulator in a future update. Fair warning: there will be spoilers ahead, so bear that in mind before deciding to read on. New Horizons update coming? The first thing they discovered was a hint at what’s in store for the museum. Currently, there’s three areas for fish, bugs, and fossils, but art and deep sea diving creatures weren’t included. That could be about to change though, as code for two extra upgrades and a gallery section were found, as well as a dedicated store and cafe – the latter of which includes Gyroids. Something that’s been a mystery since the game’s release is the ‘secret beach’ situated at the top of every player’s map. The small scrap of sand currently seems to serve little purpose other than being a place to display flowers and outdoor furniture, but the code implies that Crazy Redd will be docking a ship there to flog his wares. Read More: How to get all 21 wands in New Horizons – This could be tied to the museum gallery that was also found in the datamine, as it’s also said that the character’s ‘fake art’ mechanic will be making a return, but little is known at the time of writing. Redd appears to have a ship which will dock on the ‘secret beach’ at the north of the island. That particular acre is called Nつねきち internally – つねきち is Redd’s Japanese name. The ‘fake art’ mechanic is coming back, but I don’t know more details#ACspoilers #ACdatamining — Ninji (has moved) (@_Ninji) April 19, 2020 According to Ninji, azalea, hibiscus, holly, hydrangea, camellia, and osmanthus bushes also appeared in the code. Bushes were extremely popular in New Leaf as players often used them to line their pathways and beautify their towns, so the plants’ absence hit hard for some. This goes hand-in-hand with another suggestion that Nook’s Cranny could be getting another shop upgrade, since Leif’s gardening store was part of the T.I.Y. enhancement in the 3DS game. He sold bushes, amongst other fauna, so it’s safe to assume this might be returning. Diving could also return, as an entry for seafood in the Critterpedia with 33 entries was found. One creature, the manila clam, is already a part of the game, so the other 32 could be added in a future update. 1.0.0 has a file for a “Seafood” Critterpedia page that’s supposed to contain 33 items; the only one actually in the released game is the manila clam. There’s a 3rd Nook’s Cranny referenced, but no details on features or upgrade requirements.#ACspoilers #ACdatamining — Ninji (has moved) (@_Ninji) April 19, 2020 Other things unearthed include more hints at Redd’s return, and the ability to grow vegetables such as tomato, sugar cane, carrot, wheat, potato, and pumpkin. It should be noted that this isn’t 100% confirmation that these features will ever make it into the game, as it’s entirely possible that it’s just leftover code that hasn’t been taken out. But it’s safe to assume that maybe some of them could be added in the future, at least.

  • How to unlock shops at Harv’s Island Plaza in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to unlock shops at Harv’s Island Plaza in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoHarv’s Island Plaza in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is home to many shops, each of which unlocks a whole new plethora of opportunities. Here’s everything you need to know about every shop in the game and how you can unlock them. Harv’s Island Plaza is unlocked after you get a photo studio in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which happens when you have at least three villagers living on your island if you’re just starting out. You can start working on the Plaza after your first visit, once you’ve spoken to Harv and Harriet in the game. So, here’s every shop available at Harv’s Island Plaza and how you can unlock them in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. How to unlock Harv’s Island Plaza in Animal Crossing? To unlock Harv’s Island, you need to get a 3-star rating on your island. After which, Harvey will send you a letter inviting you to come visit his island. Once you’ve gotten the letter, go to your island’s airport and travel to Harv’s Island. Once you’re there, head to the area with the wooden gate, where you will be greeted by Harv and Harriet. Once the cutscene is over, you can start contributing bells to construct shops. Shops available on Harv’s Island Plaza The full list of stores that can be built on Harv’s Island Plaza is as follows: Shampoodle: Harriet’s Hair Salon – Redd: Paintings and sculptures – Sahara: Rugs and wallpapers – Katrina: Fortune Teller – Kicks: Shoes, bags, and socks – Re-tail: Reese and Cyrus’ customization shop – Leif: Bushes, flowers, trees – Tortimer: Storage access on the Plaza – Unfortunately, not every single traveling shopkeeper can set up a permanent location on Harv’s Island Plaza. For example, CJ and Flick cannot be made permanent, and neither can Turnip hustler Daisy Mae. Quite a few can be unlocked, though, and it’s definitely worth building each one for the convenience of not having to wait around for them to show up. How to unlock different shops on Harv’s Island Plaza To build the various vendors on the Plaza, you’ll need to contribute 100,000 Bells for each shop. This is done by donating to the Gyroid standing where each shop will go. Each shop takes a day to build, so you’re looking at a minimum of seven days to get it all filled out. Harriet’s Salon is automatically added once you build the first shop. That’s everything you need to know about Harv’s Island shops in Animal Crossing. • How to time travel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to time travel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoTime traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a straightforward process for those wanting to alter time and seasons as they please. Here’s how to become an expert in time traveling in the game. As with previous Animal Crossing titles, New Horizons operates in real-time, syncing with your system’s clock. This means the in-game time mirrors the actual time, but you can manipulate it to your advantage. However, utilizing time travel to change the date and time can make things pass that much faster if you’ve already netted, fished, and collected everything that a particular month has to offer – or if you just want to check out more of the game’s content earlier in the year. Contents How to change date and time – Time travel pros – Time travel consequences – Time travel bedhead in New Horizons – How to time travel in Animal Crossing For long-term fans of the series, time travel is the same, well-known one that’s been around in the community forever. If you’re new to Animal Crossing, though, you might not have heard about it before. Below, we’ll go through exactly how to do it, alongside some pros, cons, and a fun little hairstyle you can unlock. How to change date and time in Animal Crossing Before you go jumping through time, it’s important to note that things in the game will continue, simulating as if you had not been there. For example, weeds will cover your island and some of your favorite villagers might decide to hit the road, which can be a major bummer. Go to the home screen, and make sure Animal Crossing is closed. – Head over to ‘System Settings‘ – Select ‘Date and Time‘ and turn off the ‘synchronize clock via the internet’ option. – Set your time and date to whatever you want. – Open Animal Crossing back up and you will have time traveled! – You don’t necessarily have to change things by months and weeks though: you could simply change it from day to night in order to try and catch a certain fish or bug instead of waiting to do it later. Smaller time changes would also make it less likely your villagers will split on you. Animal Crossing time travel: Pros and cons Time travel pros in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Obviously, for all the collectors out there, being able to travel through time will allow them to race to completion even faster, and you’ll also earn massive amounts of interest on Bells stored in your account during the change. However, this does not account for any bells that are stored within your pockets/inventory. Another fantastic way to increase your amount of Bells is with money trees. Our guide will tell you all you need to know about utilizing this method to make the big bucks. If you have three other friends willing to participate, you could even set it up to have each person’s island on a different season at the same time, and visit them at your leisure to experience each! Time travel is undoubtedly a great method for those who don’t have the option to invest in the game on a daily basis – allowing you to time travel backward to experience prior events (though this does not happen when traveling forward). Time travel consequences in Animal Crossing: New Horizons There are a handful of consequences that you should be aware of when you’re time-traveling in Animal Crossing, though. These are: If you travel backward in time, or forward enough that you pass a Sunday, any turnips that you possess (in your pockets, or out in the world) will turn rotten, likely losing you a tonne of Bells. – Your mailbox will likely become full, meaning you’ll need to dig through lots of letters from your villagers, Mom, and the Happy Home Academy. – Time-traveling ahead more than one day at a time will reset any Nook Stop bonus streaks you’ve got going, resetting it back to day one. – Some of your villagers may have grown restless, and may have bubbles above their heads, showing that they’re thinking of leaving your island! – Cockroaches are highly likely to appear in your home, though this can be easily fixed – step on, and squish them! – Weeds will begin to sprout all over your island! Though you might like the look of them, they can knock your island’s rating as they grow out of control. – One of the biggest downsides, though, would be that this cheat does ruin New Horizon’s continuity. But, in the end, it all depends on how you want to play the game. Time travel bedhead in New Horizons Utilizing the time travel feature can also land you with this fun little intro upon loading up your game – messy bedhead hair! Despite this, it will be instantly fixed by your character upon exiting their home. If this is your first time seeing the hairstyle, though, it will then be unlocked and added to the selection of hairstyles that you can choose from. The easiest way to accomplish this is to time travel forward by a month or more. So, there you have it – everything you need to know about time travel in Animal Crossing. • How to take the best screenshots in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to take the best screenshots in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Taking screenshots in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a lot more complex in the Nintendo Switch title than it was in older games, and it can seem daunting trying to figure out how to get the perfect shot in the game. Here are our tips and tricks. In previous Animal Crossing titles, taking a screenshot literally just meant pressing one or two buttons – if it had the feature at all. There were barely any ways to take a stylish pic, and if you wanted a filter on it, you had to export it onto your PC or phone, and then run it through a photo-editing app. All that changed with New Horizons, as your in-game NookPhone allows you to capture your gameplay in a new way thanks to the Camera application. Taking a great screenshot can be tricky to get to grips with though, especially with all the fresh features that come along with it – but that’s why we’re here to help you master the basics. Animal Crossing: New Horizons screenshot guide The Camera application houses several different features: in and out zoom, filters, frames, a whistle to get villagers to look directly towards you, your Reaction wheel, and the ability to change angles to either zoomed-out, mid or close up. How you use them then depends on the type of shot you want to take. Let’s say you want to take a nice photograph of your island scenery like in the image above, but you don’t want your character in it, so what do you do? The clever use of angles while also hiding behind a tree makes it so nobody will ever know you’re there – our sprite is hidden in the back, blocked out by the greenery, but you’d never guess. There will also be times when your villagers will interact with you and with each other, which can make the perfect time to take a cute screenshot. It’s easier to do if you visit somebody’s house, but it can be done outside – or even with amiibo figures and cards at Harvey’s Island. Placing furniture outside increases your chances of witnessing an adorable interaction, much like in the photo above where Lolly and Flurry are eating lunch together with our character. Using the whistle makes everybody in the picture look towards the camera, and is perfect when paired with a Reaction emote. While there are three ‘official’ angles when taking a screenshot, there’s also a fourth, but it’s not actually in the app. To take a diagonal photo, you’ll need to pick up the mailbox outside of your house – yes, you can move it! Position it to the left of whatever you want to take a still off. When you open it, it’ll swerve the camera diagonally for a second, and this is when you’re going to want to get trigger-happy with the screenshot button. If you’re too slow and the main UI pops up, simply exit out and try again until you get it. Obviously, your character will be on the left side of the picture, so just move it over to your PC or phone, crop it out using a photo editor, and you’ll have a perfectly positioned shot. For all of your pics, you can use the in-game filters and frames to jazz them up – for example, the black and white and sepia options give your image a vintage look, or you can make it Instagram-ready with ones that play around with brightness and contrast. That’s everything you need to know about screenshotting in Animal Crossing New Horizons! • How to stop villagers from moving out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to stop villagers from moving out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)If you accidentally told your favorite villager that they should move out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, don’t cry yourself to sleep just yet – there’s actually a way to reverse their decision in the game. We all know the pain of having an adored character ask to move out. Luckily, you can deny their request and ask them to stay, but sometimes, a slip of the finger means you pick the wrong dialog choice. There’s an intricate method to reverse their decision to move out that’ll make your favorite villager have a change of heart, Phantom Thieves style. Reddit user ‘Deenew‘ is the genius behind the method, so kudos to them. How to stop a villager from leaving in Animal Crossing If a character is set to move and you don’t want them to, here is what you need to do: Make sure that you don’t time travel or shut your system off until tomorrow – it needs to be the same day they ask to leave. – Create or load up a second character on your island. If you have to make one, don’t worry as you can delete their house (and entire existence, in fact) afterward so there’s no permanent damage done. – Once that’s done, use your second person and run around town until you see the desired villager with a speech bubble over their head. They’ll ask if they should move, and you can tell them to stay this time. – You’ll know the trick has worked when you return to your main character – simply walk around until you find them, and they should automatically ping for your attention. – The villager will tell you that they’ve had a change of heart and are no longer moving meaning you no longer have to mourn over their departure. – That’s everything you need to know about stopping villagers from moving out in Animal Crossing New Horizons! • How to prepare for Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update – Dexerto

How to prepare for Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update NintendoIf, like many other players, you’re excited for the upcoming patch but you don’t know where to start prepping your island for it, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to prepare for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update. After months of radio silence and outrage from some fans regarding lack of update content for New Horizons, Nintendo finally announced the 2.0 update and revealed what’s coming with it back in mid-October. With new villagers, features like harvesting and cooking, and more on the way to Animal Crossing, you may want to prepare for it so you’re not overwhelmed by all of the new additions when it releases on November 5, 2021. Contents: Plan your island layout – Decide who to kick out for new villagers – Create a farming area – Build a kitchen – Save your Nook Miles – Save your Bells – 6 ways to prepare for Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update Many players are contemplating either restarting or flattening their islands to start anew for the upcoming patch. This article focuses on preparing your already-established town, but if you are wanting to reset your save file, check out our how to restart guide. If you don’t know where to begin when it comes to fitting all the new features into your game, here are six ways to prepare so you’re not overwhelmed once the 2.0 update releases on November 5. Plan your New Horizons island layout The 2.0 update is adding two more optional bridges and inclines, as well as the new Ladder Set Up Kit so you can climb cliffs without even needing inclines if you prefer or if you’ve used up the allocated amount. Farming is coming too. Because of this, you’re going to need to figure out where to put everything, especially if you’re planning on setting up an area for growing your vegetables. If you’re doing a big overhaul, Happy Island Designer is perfect for more intricate planning. It’s a website that lets you plot out your island square-by-square, so you know exactly where to put what when it comes to transforming your island in-game. Decide who to kick out for new Animal Crossing villagers With 16 new villagers coming to New Horizons on November 5, you may see one that you really want in your town. But what do you do if you already have 10 on your island? Sadly, you’re going to have to kick one out when the 2.0 update comes. Making a resident leave is easy if you have your desired villager’s amiibo card: simply scan it at the Nook Stop in your Resident Services building and ask them to move in. Then you can pick who you want to get rid of for the new character. If you don’t have an amiibo card, follow the steps below: Set your Nintendo Switch’s date to 10 days in the future, between 12 and 3 PM. – In-game, find a villager with a speech bubble above their head. – If it’s not the character you want, tell them you want them to stay. – If no one has a speech bubble, time travel forward one day at a time until one does. – Rinse and repeat until the villager you want to leave has the speech bubble above their head. Talk to them and tell them it’s time to move on. – Create a farming area With harvesting being added (not counting the October pumpkin-growing event), you’re going to need a space to grow your vegetables. Potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, wheat, and sugarcane are all of the growable ingredients known so far, and while you can plant them anywhere on your grass, if you’re all about aesthetics then you’re going to want to use the Island Designer app to create some dirt patches. If you haven’t already, unlock the Island Designer app by completing the “story” and purchase either the dark dirt path or sand path permit from the Nook Stop Terminal. – Go to where you want to put your patches of soil and open up the Island Designer app on your Nook Phone. Select “Start Construction!” – Press the + button and select which path you want to place, then put them down in whatever size grid you like. – Once you’ve got your dirt patches, you could decorate the outside with fencing for that real farm-like look, or add in some furniture accents like the Silo. Build a kitchen Along with harvesting, cooking is also coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You use your freshly-grown crops and turn them into delicious meals like a proper farmer. It’s not clear exactly how you’ll cook just yet, but we do know that you need a kitchen in your house. There are plenty of appliances, countertops, and other kitchen furniture items in the game, so check Nook’s Cranny regularly. And if you already have a kitchen set up, you could always give it a refresh in time for the new update too. Save your Nook Miles! If you take just one thing away from this list, let it be this. Several of the new features rely on Nook Miles to either unlock or use, so you need to make sure you have enough of them to do everything you want to do. You get them by completing day-to-day tasks like catching fish and bugs, speaking to villagers, and crafting. The Nook Stop Terminal in your Resident Services building offers a few things you can buy with the currency, and will have even more for purchase in update 2.0. It will also cost to get Kapp’n to take you on his mysterious island tours. It would be a nightmare if you didn’t have enough for the new content, so start saving now. Here’s how many Nook Miles you’ll need to unlock the 2.0 content: Kapp’n tours – 1,000 (every time you go)y – New hairstyles – 1,200 – Cooking recipes – 2,000 – Custom fencing – 2,500 – New reactions – 3,300 – Pro Camera – 1,500 – Custom Design Patterns+ – 1,800 – Pro Decorating License – 2,500 – Pro Construction License – 3,000 – Save your Bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Along with Nook Miles, you need to also be saving your Bells in preparation for the November 5 patch. With storage being expanded from 2,400 to 5,000 across multiple upgrades, there’s no doubt Tom Nook will be holding them hostage behind a massive paywall – classic. That’s not all you need to drop cash on, either. Harv’s Island is getting a shopping plaza where NPCs like Reese and Cyrus, Kicks, Tortimer, and Katrina can set up shop, but you need to make “contributions” to unlock them first. There’s no details yet on how much either of the features mentioned above will cost so it’s worth saving up every last Bell you can before the update, just in case you don’t have enough. • How to predict weather patterns on Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to predict weather patterns on Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoYou can now predict your island’s weather patterns on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, all thanks to MeteoNook, a browser-based weather app. The app was created by Ash Wolf, also known as Ninji, a software developer in Glasgow and, for many Animal Crossing lovers, a savior for their ability to understand and work out the game’s many quirks. Weather patterns are highly important in New Horizons for several reasons. They affect when certain bugs and fish appear or disappear. When it rains, Coelacanths, which sell for 15,000 bells, appear in the sea and snails appear on bushes, but butterflies disappear. Rain predictions can also be extremely helpful if you’re trying to grow hybrid flowers. When the sky is clear at night, shooting stars are far more likely to appear. Occasionally, your island will also get rainbows, fog, and the Aurora Borealis in the wintertime. By entering known data points, MeteoNook can predict the weather on your island down to the second. Here is how you can do it. How to use MeteoNook to predict weather patterns in Animal Crossing To predict your weather pattern you need to make sure you have the seed which is a very long number, unique to your island. This number determines your weather – and there are over two billion of these numbers. – MeteoNook finds the seed through trial and error, comparing the data you provide with all of the different possibilities, ruling each one out if it doesn’t make sense. – You have to begin by recording what your weather looks like each hour out of the following categories: clear, sunny, cloudy, rain clouds, rain/snow, and heavy rain/snow. Ninji suggests you do this at the beginning of the hour when it is easiest to identify. But, you have to be certain, or the prediction you’re given could be wildly off-kilter. – If you happen to have a rainbow, aurora borealis, or a heavy shower on a day, it is enough data for the whole day, so you don’t have to enter your weather by the hour. – The app works because of the ability to time travel within the game, and because the weather conditions will always be the same on a certain time and day, whether you travel back or forward in time. Celeste’s appearances are picked randomly out of the days that have meteor showers, so this cannot be predicted. – What information do you get once you have the seed? Once you have worked out your seed and entered it into the app along with your hemisphere, MeteoNook will provide you with a yearly and monthly breakdown of how your weather looks. – For example, in a given month you might get 3 light showers, 1 heavy shower, and 4 rainbows. – On individual days you will now be able to see exactly what your weather will look like, as long as the information you have provided is correct. – That’s everything you need to know about predicting weather patterns in Animal Crossing New Horizons! • How to pick Redd’s real art from fake art in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to pick Redd’s real art from fake art in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoJolly Redd is one of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ latest editions. However, the Foxy villager can be a bit sly. Here’s a guide to making sure you’re always getting your bells worth when you buy his art. Redd is one of a couple new visitors added in Animal Crossing’s Earth Day update. However, unlike his counterpart Lief, he’s a lot more conniving. Redd tries to trip up players into picking up his fake art, which is basically worthless, instead of his museum-worthy replicas of real life paintings and statues. To make sure you aren’t scammed, we’ve got a guide so you can pick the good from the bad. How to get access to Redd There’s a few conditions you’ll need to meet to get Redd showing up on your island’s shores. He rocks up on the Treasure Trawler, docking on the North beach. You’ll need access to a few ladders to get down to him, unless you’ve done some massive terraforming. Before that, you’ll need to pique his interest in the first place, and that means entertaining Blathers. The museum muse will take some warming up to the art world, but after around 60 additions to the repertoire of the gallery, he will start getting interested in Redd’s goods. Once Isabelle starts mentioning Redd in her morning announcements, you’ll know the Fox is on your shores that day, and you’ll be able to buy art off him. Fake art vs real art in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd’s first piece of art will always be genuine. However, he will charge you an exorbitant amount of bells for it. Decline the first offer, and take it up for 5,000 on the second time around to get the best bang for your buck. From there, it becomes a guessing game — at least if you aren’t an art major. Redd will slip in some fake art with his genuine art, and as we know, Blathers only accepts the best. While you’ll get the chance to look at all of Redd’s art before buying, you might not know what to look for. While we don’t have a full list of defects on the fake art, we can help you with some pointers as he keeps rocking up on our shores. Anything that looks remotely damaged, like the coffee stain on the top-right of “Academic Painting” (modeled on Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man) will be an instant reject. Some of the fake art is more subtle though — from the raised eyebrows on “Famous Painting” (aka Mona Lisa) to the long bangs on “Basic Painting” (based on Gainsborough’s The Blue Boy). These small changes can slip up even the most studious art history major. Read more: Top 5 best town layouts in Animal Crossing – If you want to check out some more examples, ‘WayneMei’ on Twitter has compiled more than 20 of Redd’s artworks in their in-real-life form, and the defects you need to look out for. https://twitter.com/WayneMei/status/1253345616018771968 You can sell the real paintings, or donate them to the museum — the choice is yours. However, with the fakes, your options are much more limited. You can choose to ditch them, or hang them on your wall. Some of the fake art is pretty amusing though, so you might want to keep it. Be careful of hanging in public though, as it can tank your island and house rating. Storing them in your basement can remove the risk of this entirely.

  • How to make unbreakable tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to make unbreakable tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoA Twitter user discovered how to make unbreakable tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Their ingenious workaround went viral as players rejoiced in their solution to a common problem in the game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduces players to their own tropical island getaway. However, despite its laid-back vibes, the game’s tool mechanics can be quite tiresome for some. Instead of players enjoying their vacation completely, they will have to find time to craft and re-build their items which break after a certain amount of uses. In previous releases of Animal Crossing, tools wouldn’t break. Unfortunately in New Horizons, this is the case, even when you unlock the stronger versions. They only have a certain number of uses before they disappear from your inventory. However, a clever AC fan has discovered a way around it. Here is everything you need to know to pull off the method. How to make unbreakable tools in New Horizons #ACNH #AnimalCrossing #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons pic.twitter.com/bfPMIWusMS — ロボット/ROBOTO (@robotoboy) March 27, 2020 Twitter user ‘robotobody’ discovered a neat trick that gets rid of the durability of weapons. “If you customize your good tools it resets their durability! It only takes one kit to do so. You can effectively repair your tools with customization kits,” he explained. The AC fan also pointed out the method saves you Bells and inventory space. “Kits are cheaper than flimsy tools sold by the nooklings! You can easily repair your good tools for 600 bells, what’s more, is the kits stack 50 in your inventory!” The reason this is so useful is that crafting tools can be a bit of a pain, as you have to make the weaker version of the item before you can build the stronger iteration of it. Players looking to take advantage of this trick have to unlock customization kits first, of course. In order to do this, you have to first unlock the Museum and then recruit three new characters to your island. After completing those tasks, seek out Tom Nook. He will then ask you to attend a customization workshop and the feature will then be unlocked. Animal Crossing players never cease to amaze with their creativity. Despite only a week since its release, we’ve seen some mind-blowing uses of the terraforming tool. That’s everything you need to know about making unbreakable tools in Animal Crossing New Horizons! • How to make Rick and Morty-like portals in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to make Rick and Morty-like portals in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Chris NguyenAnimal Crossing: New Horizons and Rick and Morty are two worlds you may never have expected to mix. Now, you can bring a little “wubba lubba dub-dub” to your island, thanks to a clever fan creation. Ever wished you could bring a little bit of that signature Rick and Morty flavor to Animal Crossing? Now you can, thanks a talented comedian and creator named Chris Nguyen. The fan painstakingly worked to recreate a scene from the popular Adult Swim series from Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon on his very own island, all in celebration of the show’s fourth season. The result of Nguyen’s hard work is Rick’s infamous garage, where he does all of his important science work. The finished tableau includes shelving, sink, a terrified Morty villager and one of Rick’s signature portals. As Nguyen relayed in an interview with Inverse, building Rick’s workshop didn’t take that long, but the response has been tremendous. He noted that he didn’t have to use too many custom designs, either, to make it all come to life. If you want to add a few portals (or even a plumbus) to your Animal Crossing island, we’ve got everything you need to know about doing so. Read on for the lowdown. How to make portals in Animal Crossing Because obviously portals don’t exist within the Animal Crossing universe, Nguyen had to do some custom work to bring them to life. He was kind enough to share the QR codes to each half of the portal he made so you can create one for your island – or place them all over to trick unsuspecting villagers into being transported somewhere else. Sigh, if only. To make the portals, you’ll need to scan both sides of the image since Nguyen had to split the original in half. Here are the codes you need to use. Once you’ve scanned in the portal images, all you need to do is place them in a manner that joins them together. You can do this anywhere you have room on the island. Both pieces should make a decent-sized portal. Show us what you got! How to make a plumbus in Animal Crossing Want to get riggidy riggidy wrecked even further? You can add a plumbus to your Animal Crossing home via the same method you used to add a portal. What’s it do? Nothing, really. But it will add more ambiance to your Rick and Morty-inspired animal island hideout. Just scan in the QR code below, also created by Nguyen, and place where you desire. It can go anywhere, really. That’s sort of the beauty of a plumbus. Only the Rickest Ricks and the Mortiest Morties have one, though. With the addition of a portal and a plumbus to your island, you’ll be one step closer to living your dream of becoming a member of the Sanchez-Smith family.

  • How to spawn tarantulas and make millions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to spawn tarantulas and make millions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoCatching and selling tarantulas in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a lucrative early-game strategy. If you’re not too scared, here’s how to attract these spiders and earn more bells in the game. In Animal Crossing, earning in-game currency is crucial for paying off loans, and New Horizons continues this trend. The Switch version has its own way of making quick bells, reminiscent of New Leaf’s insect-rich island. In the latest life simulation title, players use Nook Miles Tickets to fly from their airport onto a random island where they can harvest materials, catch fish, and even recruit new villagers. They also house a hidden secret – just like NL, you can farm a ton of money from them. Contents How to get to Tarantula Island in Animal Crossing To get Nook Miles Tickets, you need to spend 2,000 Nook Miles at the kiosk in the Resident Services building. Once you’ve got one, between November and April, head on over to your Dodo Airlines airport and jet off to a mystery place after 7 PM and before 4 AM. While the so-called ‘Tarantula Island’ is a known destination for the creatures, apparently it is actually possible to turn every single one into a spawning ground. Players have been reporting that they’ve been able to farm the scary critters even when on a normal isle. How to catch tarantulas in Animal Crossing You’ll want to have an axe, shovel, and a net in your inventory so that you can bring them with you, but you’ll sacrifice the extra pocket space. Instead of this, you can buy them for 100 miles a pop from your pilot Wilbur – the choice is yours. Then, you’ll need to go into ultimate cleanup mode: Use your axe and your shovel to chop down all trees. – Dig up the leftover stumps, and eat the fallen fruit in order to power up. – Then, remove all the weeds and pick all of the flowers on the island – you don’t need to dig those. – Finally, scare away all remaining bugs and it shouldn’t take too long for the tarantulas to spawn. – Equip your net, and hold down the A button in preparation to catch the critter. – Move slowly towards the spider, only when its legs are lowered. – Let go of the A button when you’re close enough, and you should have caught ’em! – While it’s scary when they rear up and start running at you, a swift swing of your net should easily best them. Make sure to ditch your other tools to clear up valuable inventory space. Depending on how many Nook Miles Tickets you have, you should be able to make the big bucks by selling pockets full of the hairy critters and going back and forth. Catching Animal Crossing tarantulas more easily While the above method is viable, an option to make this easier is to dig a series of holes in a diamond shape, allowing you to jump over them. Luring the spiders into this area will block them from being able to move towards because their path is blocked, allowing you to quickly turn around and swipe at them with your net. Once you’ve caught ’em all, you can sell them on – easy as that! It should be noted, though, that Flick will pay you more for them than if you sell them at Nook’s Cranny, so it’s worth waiting for him to show up in order to get more Bells if you’ve got the patience. So, there you have it, everything you need to know about making millions with Tarantulas in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Make sure to check out our other guides. • How to make a rock garden in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to make a rock garden in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Reddit: u/blackpanter02)We’ve all seen those amazing rock gardens in Animal Crossing: New Horizons but how do you make one in the game? Here’s everything you need to know. One of the biggest objectives in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to decorate your island with different features. Some of the more popular choices are forests, elaborate town entrances, and marketplaces, just to name a few. The introduction of the Island Designer app and the terraforming tool means that the possibilities are endless. Animal Crossing also allows players to smash rocks to either move them somewhere else or to gain materials such as iron, stone, or clay. Usually, when broken, their new positioning is random, but players have found a way to force rocks into specific places to form a ‘rock garden’ – and here’s how they’re doing it. How to make a rock garden in New Horizons Having all your rocks in one area is a rather tedious process, but it’s well worth the time. It will also take around a week in order to move them all to their desired places – unless you want to use time travel to speed it up, of course. You’ll also need a shovel, obviously, as well as six pieces of fruit, a Custom Design pattern, the 7×5 area you want the garden to be in, and the Island Designer app as it’ll make your life so much easier. You can make it 7×9 if you’d like the area to be fenced in, either work. If you open up your map, you’ll see that your island is actually set up as a grid. Each section only allows you to have four rocks, but you can get around this and place all six by placing them between two of the lines. They won’t spawn on hard paths such as brick or wood, by the edges of cliffs, rivers or ponds, on the beach, by trees, or adjacent to any buildings, so bear that in mind when planning your space. Once you’ve found your chosen area, you’ll want to plan out where you want the rocks to go. The easiest way of doing this is by using the Island Designer app to place a path tile where you want each one and then using a different type of path in all the spots in between. After that’s done, you’re going to want to eat the fruit and then break all six of your rocks. Then block off all spaces where new ones can spawn in – just be mindful that they need eight blocks around them in order for them to appear. The easiest way we’ve found of doing this is by placing mannequins every two spaces by using a pattern in your Custom Designs app, as they can be picked up easily for quicker cleanup. Weeds and flowers don’t count as an object, so make sure you set a design down next to them, too. It’s a tedious job, but it works, and is well worth the effort for the end result. Once everywhere is blocked off, you can either wait until the next day to see where a new rock has spawned, or you can time travel forward if you’re impatient. It’ll take six days for all of them to appear, and could be longer if you’ve accidentally missed a spot – we did say it was tedious. At the end of it, you should have your very own rock garden that you can decorate however you like. That’s everything you need to know about maintaining a Rock Garden in Animal Crossing New Horizons! • How to increase hybrid flower spawns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to increase hybrid flower spawns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Obtaining hybrids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be a complicated affair, and you can go days without ever spawning one. There is a way to increase their growth, though – and it’s a lifesaver for those wanting different colored flowers in the game. Growing rare plants has been a staple in the Animal Crossing series ever since Wild World came out on the Nintendo DS back in 2005. It involves placing two of the same flower types together in a strategic way and then watering them in the hopes of spawning a new one with a unique color. We all know the pain of going days without anything happening, though, and sometimes, a new flower will spawn but it’s just the same kind and not a hybrid – the struggle is real. For those with a green thumb, there’s actually a way to increase your chances of getting a rare flower, and it’s easier than you might expect. How to increase hybrid flower chances in Animal Crossing Playing with other people in Animal Crossing has always been a key feature for a lot of fans, whether it’s experiencing the game with friends, or a stranger when trading or selling items. The last thing anyone thinks of is taking care of the host’s plants – but it’s something that actually should be done if you want to grow hybrids. Twitter users ‘yuecrossing,’ ‘_Ninji,’ and ‘aiterusawato‘ revealed that having other people water your flowers actually increases your chance of producing new ones. To find out which plants can reproduce, just look to see if they sparkle or not once they’ve been watered. Modified the Flower Visitor Watering guide to include more information and correct several mistakes! Having friends over to water your flowers increases flower production greatly!🌼💧 #ACNH #AnimalCrossing #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons pic.twitter.com/t8Mkqz7lnS — 𝕪 𝕦 𝕖 🌙☁️ 小月 ; (@yuecrossing) May 18, 2020 The production chance increases for every person who does it, up to five at 80%. If a flower is sparkly to you, it means you don’t need to water it yourself anymore, so bring along a friend or two to help boost your rates. Note that anyone living on your island won’t count – it needs to be someone from far away. At 0-5 visitors, blue, silvery sparkles will appear infrequently, whereas if you manage to get five, they’ll show up as large, gold glitters. The bonus can also still be applied when it’s raining, so don’t let that put you off. If you don’t know how to breed hybrid flowers in the first place, or how to get particular colors, check out our ‘everything you need to know’ guide. Once you get the hang of it, growing rare plants is easy – especially if you have a few friends willing to bring along a watering can. • How to grow blue roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to grow blue roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Blue roses might be the hardest flower to bloom in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as there’s a very specific way of growing it. We’ve got everything you need to know about spawning your own in the game. Cross-pollinating flowers in the Animal Crossing series has always been one of the key features to making your town as beautiful as can be. Hybrids come in many different types and colors, and every player has a favorite, whether it be purple hyacinths, black lilies, or pink cosmos. While gold roses require a specific method to spawn, they are relatively easy to obtain – but the blue variant isn’t quite so easy. It’s not just as simple as just planting and waiting, as there’s actually a science behind it. Read on to find out how you can grow them. How to get blue roses in Animal Crossing Blue roses spawn from red roses – but that’s not all you need to get them. Follow these steps, and you’ll be on your way in no time: Obtain red, white, and yellow rose bags, whether that’s from Nook’s Cranny, Leif, or obtaining them from a friend. – Plant the red and white ones in a checkerboard pattern, water them, and wait a day to see if any pink ones spawn in. Rinse and repeat until you get one. – Once you’ve obtained a pink rose, plant it in a checkerboard pattern with the yellow ones. You’re going to want to grow some red to make a “hybrid” version, as regular ones won’t produce blue. – When you’ve got at least two reds, plant them exactly like you did the others, water them, and wait a day. – If they’ve not spawned a blue, continue the cycle until they do. – Blue roses spawn the same flower when breeding, so as long as you have two of them, you don’t need to worry about making hybrid reds anymore. If you’ve done this correctly, you’ll soon end up with an entire field of them to decorate your island with. • How to get thousands of dream codes for Animal Crossing island-hopping – Dexerto

How to get thousands of dream codes for Animal Crossing island-hopping NintendoThe Animal Crossing: New Horizons community is resourceful, always finding inventive ways to navigate the game’s annoying quirks and limitations. So, here’s a guide on how you can get a bunch of dream codes to hop islands in the game. Typically, visiting other islands that don’t belong to people you already know involves seeking out Dodo Codes or invites from communities online. These can be found in Facebook groups, subreddits, Discord servers, and even on Twitter. Dream codes make traveling to far-away islands and receiving visitors a lot easier. But, many may still wonder where you find them. YouTuber CrossingChannel has created a dream code randomizer where you can submit your own island’s code and find new islands to visit. It works by getting as many people involved as possible to expand the database of codes. But don’t worry; your privacy is secure. The codes do not reveal the name of your island, player names, or any other information relating to you. How to use the Dream Island feature in Animal Crossing For your character to dream, you need to go and lie on any bed in your house or use the special bed that Luna gifted to you. – You must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership to do this. The bed must be in your house; this cannot be done outside. You can then select “I want to dream from the menu”. – Luna will allow you to upload your own dream island, which is a memory of your island for other people to access, which can be updated once a day. Once you’ve uploaded or updated, Luna will give you a “dream exchange ticket,” which you can sell in Nook’s Cranny for 5,000 bells. – Any player can visit your dream island if you give them the dream address that Luna provides. The address can be accessed in your passport, too, alongside how many people have visited your dream island. – Visitors will not be able to change anything or take or leave any items as the feature is designed for exploring only. Visitors can, however, see your custom designs and copy the codes from those. Luna will also give you the option to visit another dream island by entering its code. – Check out some other guides below: How to get an Axe in Animal Crossing New Horizons | Best games like Animal Crossing to play on Switch Animal Crossing turnips guide | Animal Crossing flower guide | How to get Gold Roses in New Horizons | How to get Gayle in Animal Crossing | ACNH art guide | Best way to plan your island layout | How to get Ruby in Animal Crossing New Horizons | How to get a villager to move out | How to restart your New Horizons island | Stop villagers moving out | Animal Crossing New Horizons Villager gift guide

  • How to get Summer Solstice items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to get Summer Solstice items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Starting June 7 through July 6, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have two special items up for grabs in celebration of the Summer & Winter Solstices in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Here’s how you can get them. Events have become a staple part of the Animal Crossing series ever since the game’s release in the West in 2002. GameCube players will no doubt remember celebrating the Fireworks Show at the lake, and collecting candy from villagers on Halloween. The traditions have been passed down from title to title, with each installment adding new seasonal festivities and holidays for fans to participate in. New Leaf added in the Summer & Winter Solstice to signify the longest and shortest days of the year, and it’s something that’s carried over into the Nintendo Switch game. How to get New Horizons’ Solstice items The Summer Solstice happens on June 20 in real life for those who live in the Northern Hemisphere, with the Winter Solstice taking place at the same time for everyone in the Southern. It marks the longest and shortest day of the year depending on where you are in the world, and Animal Crossing is celebrating it too. The game is diving into the festivities early by giving players access to two limited-time, special items: the Summer-solstice crown and the Winter-solstice sweater. You’re able to grab both regardless of what region you’re in, so there’s no worry about being locked out of one. In order to get the items, simply head to the Nook Stop terminal in the Resident Services building. Once there, click on Nook Shopping, then Special Goods, and click on over to the Seasonal items tab. Once you’ve purchased them for 1,560 and 1,200 Bells, you’ll either have to wait a day or time travel forward to tomorrow to receive them in-hand as they’ll be sent to your mailbox rather than given to you right then and there. Make sure you claim them by July 6! It is currently unclear at the time of writing whether the Nintendo Switch game will be celebrating the Solstice further as an actual all-day event like in New Leaf, but Dexerto will keep you updated as more information comes to light.

  • How to get Summer Shells & DIY recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to get Summer Shells & DIY recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)There’s a new seasonal event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it involves collecting Summer Shells and exclusive DIY recipes in order to get some pretty epic items. When New Horizons released in March, it introduced several new features to the series such as Hemispheres, terraforming, and more. One of the most-loved additions is the ability to craft new furniture and clothing using recipes and materials found around your island. Spring saw the cherry blossom period which awarded players with Japanese-themed items and DIYs, and also housed the bamboo season with similar rewards. Now that summer is here, the next event is all about Summer Shells – here’s everything you need to know about grabbing the exclusive ocean-themed items and recipes. How to get Summer Shells & DIYs in New Horizons Starting June 1 until the end of August in the Northern Hemisphere, you’ll be able to find Summer Shells along your beach where you’d usually find regular ones like conches and corals. For Southern players, they will appear from the start of December to the end of February. They have a distinct blue color compared to others, so they won’t be too hard to spot alongside the shoreline when hunting them down. You won’t always find them straight away, so in order to spawn more shells, pick up everything along your beach and wait approximately an hour. There are eight DIYs that you can craft using Summer Shells. You’ll need around 30 of them in total to create everything so make sure you pick them up every time you spot one on the sand. Like other seasons, the recipes are obtained by shooting down balloons using a slingshot. To find out how to spawn them in more often, check out our guide. You can take a look at the Shell wreath in-game below courtesy of Animal Crossing World. The list of every DIY and crafting materials needed can be found below: Shell wand – 3x Summer shells, 3x star fragments – Shell wreath – 1x Summer shell, 1x sea snail, 1x sand dollar, 1x coral, 1x giant clam, 1x cowrie – Shellfish pochette – 6x Summer shells, 2x giant clams – Starry-sands flooring – 3x Summer shells, 1x sandy beach flooring – Tropical vista wall – 5x Summer shells – Underwater flooring – 3x Summer shells, 3x coral – Underwater wall – 3x Summer shells, 5x coral – Water flooring – 6x Summer shells –

  • How to get gold roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to get gold roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Gold roses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons require a specific gardening method to grow. Here’s a detailed guide on how to cultivate them in the game. Mastering hybrid flowers in Animal Crossing involves more than just planting seeds. It’s a meticulous process that combines knowledge of color theory, plant types, and genetic principles to produce unique hybrids. Gold roses have been a staple of many towns since they first appeared in Wild World for the Nintendo DS in 2005, largely due to their rare nature and also as a ‘humblebrag’ to make your village stand out above the rest – why would you plant regular flowers when you can have gold ones? How to grow gold roses in Animal Crossing To be able to grow a golden rose in Animal Crossing, here is what you need to do: First things first, you’ll need a golden watering can. Isabelle gives you the DIY recipe after you achieve a 5-star island rating – the guide for which can be found here. – After that, you’ll need to breed red roses together in order to spawn some black ones. It doesn’t work with any other color; you need black specifically, and they only appear by using reds. – Once you’ve got yourself some black ones, plant them in a checkerboard pattern just like you would when trying to get any other sort of hybrid. Then water them with your golden can and wait a day to see if any appear. – Each gold rose sells for 1,000 Bells, so it’s definitely worth trying to breed them in bulk as a way to make money to pay off Tom Nook’s home loan. • How to get all 21 wands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to get all 21 wands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes magic wands, a novel feature enabling quick outfit changes, and offers 21 distinct styles. This guide explains how to locate and craft each wand variant in the game. Personalizing your character with various clothing has always been a core part of Animal Crossing’s charm. Whether purchasing from the Able Sisters or crafting custom designs, the game offers a plethora of fashion choices. Magic wands make switching styles easier than ever in New Horizons, as it lets players save multiple outfits and switch into them with a simple “swish and flick” – Harry Potter style. There are 21 types of wands to find and craft, so keep reading to discover how you can get them. How to find and craft magic wands in New Horizons First things first, you need to seek out Celeste – Blathers’ little sister with a burning passion for astronomy, astrology, and everything celestial. She appears randomly during shooting star nights, though she has been known to pop up on a regular night, too. Her job in the latest Animal Crossing title is to inform players about meteor showers, whereas she’d previously had a section in the Museum where she’d teach players about stars and constellations using her telescope. She hands out one crafting recipe per visit, which can be Space, Zodiac, or Wand-themed – the latter obviously being what you’re looking for. Sadly, there’s no set way of guaranteeing she gives you a wand DIY, as it’s actually just random and comes down to pure luck. Not all of the magic items come from Celeste, though. What’s important is that during meteor showers, you wish on every shooting star that comes your way. You’ll know when to do so when you hear a chime noise – this means there’s one in the sky, so angle your camera up and press A while empty-handed, and your character will make a praying motion of sorts. The next day, your beach will be littered with Star Fragments, which you need in order to craft each wand. List of all wands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Each wand and how to find and make them can be found below: Cherry-blossom wand – From a message in a bottle, villager, or balloon drop during cherry blossom season (April 1 through 10), 3x Cherry Blossom Petals, 3x Star Fragments – Tulip wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Red Tulip – Cosmos wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x White Cosmos – Rose wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Red Rose – Windflower wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Orange Windflower – Hyacinth wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Pink Hyacinth – Lily wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x White Lily – Mums wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Yellow Mum – Pansy wand –Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Yellow Pansy – Tree branch wand – Random from Celeste, 5x Tree Branch, 3x Star Fragments – Bamboo wand – From a message in a bottle, villager, or balloon drop during the Spring months, 3x Star Fragments, 6x Young Spring Bamboo – Star wand – From Celeste the very first time you talk to her, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Large Star Fragment – Wand – Random from Celeste, 2x Star Fragments – Ice wand – From Snowboy during the Winter months, 1x Large Snowflake, 3x Star Fragments – Bunny Day wand – From Zipper T. on Bunny Day (April 12) after all other Easter recipes have been crafted, 3x Star Fragments, 1x Wobbling Zipper Toy – Golden wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 2x Gold Nuggets – Iron wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Iron Nuggets, 3x Star Fragments – Mushroom wand – From a message in a bottle, villager, or balloon drop during the Fall months, 3x Thin Mushrooms, 3x Star Fragments – Shell wand – Random from Celeste, 3x Star Fragments, 3x Summer Shells – Fish wand – From C.J. during the Fishing Tourney (item, not DIY) – Bug wand – From Flick during the Bug Off (item, not DIY) – Obviously, it takes a lot of Star Fragments in order to make all of the DIYs, so it’s worth trying to wish on as many shooting stars as you can during a meteor shower to increase your chances of finding them washed up on your beach the next day. If you’re having a hard time trying to get the owl to give you the right crafting recipes, it’s also worth seeing what your friends have as they might be willing to trade, or even let you onto their islands when she’s visiting so you can get an extra blueprint from her. • How to get a 5 star island rating in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to get a 5 star island rating in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Achieving a 5-star island rating in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a prestigious goal, but it requires effort and strategy. Here are essential tips to attain that coveted five-star rating for your island. In the Animal Crossing series, the ‘Perfect’ rating has been a long-standing aspiration. For instance, maintaining this status in the GameCube version rewarded players with the Golden Axe, while in Wild World and City Folk, it was the Golden Watering Can, and in New Leaf, the Flower Clock was the prize. New Horizons replaces the perfect town status with an island evaluation in which you must earn a star rating, but it’s pretty much the same sort of deal. Isabelle will reward you with the Golden Watering Can DIY once you’ve reached it, so it’s definitely worth trying to achieve in the game. How to get five-star rating in New Horizons To improve your island rating, you need to make sure your town is as immaculate and as appealing to visitors as possible. A good base point is to ensure you remove all weeds, garbage, and dropped items from the ground as this can affect your score greatly. You also need to make sure you have at least nine villagers moved in. The museum and the Able Sisters shop also need to have been built, and you’ll need to upgrade your island’s infrastructure – AKA building inclines and bridges to make it easier for residents and visitors to get around. Trees will also need to be added by planting saplings bought from Nook’s Cranny and by burying fruit – though you can’t have over 220 in your town otherwise it’ll affect the rating negatively, so be strategic if you’re planning on making a forest. Planting lots and lots of flowers will also help. Lastly, decorating your town is the thing that will have the most impact on your score, and can mean the difference between a four and a five star rating. Not only will you need to place bought furniture, but also stuff you’ve crafted with DIY recipes as well. Do all of this and Isabelle should award you with that coveted 5-star achievement, which also nets you with the Golden Watering Can DIY and Lily of the Valley flowers will start popping up randomly around your island. • How to create a garden for your Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers – Dexerto

How to create a garden for your Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)While making your own garden in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a priority for many players, it is actually possible to make a nice one for each of your villagers too. One of the biggest challenges in all Animal Crossing games is trying to decide how to decorate your town, and New Horizons is definitely no exception. Especially since it comes with many more customization features than previous entries in the series – fences, terraforming, and being able to place furniture outside being just three new things you can do. Players will often try and give their houses a nice garden to add some decor to the neighborhood, especially if they’ve managed to pay off Tom Nook’s loan – why not celebrate being debt-free by making yourself your very own front yard? While that’s as far as it goes for some, you can actually give your villagers their own, too. New Horizons villager gardens Reddit user ‘Surfiee‘ shared a video on April 17 that showed just how you can achieve a gorgeous front yard for your villagers – even giving each one their own fence for a true sense of privacy, and making them all different, too. In the clip, every garden consists of the same layout, but is personalized for each animal with their own outdoor furniture, flowers, and type of tree. They gave each character their own trash can as well, because after all, nobody likes a communal bin, do they? All the houses are placed next to each other to create a neighborhood of sorts, which looks really beautiful and is a genius way of creating more space around your island for other attractions. The user also shared the layout of their gardens in a separate comment, making it easier for players to mimic their creations in their own games. If you remember that each house takes up a 4×3 grid, plotting everything around that is easy. Each yard consists of a total space of 9×8 tiles, including the fence, and allows space for a flower patch, pathways, a tree, and outdoor furniture. Obviously you don’t need to follow this with 100% accuracy, but it makes for a useful guide when figuring out how to set up and style your villagers’ gardens. One of the other tools introduced in New Horizons is terraforming, which is a Nook Phone tool that allows players to manipulate the layout of their towns by editing the rivers and cliffs. • How to collect Star Fragments in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

How to collect Star Fragments in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoIf you’re struggling to collect Star Fragments in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, don’t worry because you’re definitely not alone, which is why we made a guide on how to collect this elusive material quickly and easily. Star Fragments are one of the hardest crafting materials to collect in New Horizons. If you aren’t actively looking for them, it’s completely possible that you’ll never collect any at all. But, if you’re here, that means you haven’t given up entirely. So, to help you in your quest, we have some crucial tips and tricks for gathering all the different types of these sought-after items. If you don’t know about Star Fragments already, they’re closely related to a character in the game named Celeste, who’s Blathers’ sister, and the main source for recipes using the material. To collect them, you have to wish on shooting stars at night by pressing A while looking at the sky, which is done by zooming all the way in until your camera faces the stars. Celeste has the chance to spawn on your island any night there’s a clear sky, and anytime there’s an incoming Meteor Shower, which is a great way to farm lots of the rare bits. If you talk to her when she appears, she’ll offer you a new recipe once per night, along with astrological facts about any constellations you might have discovered. Even if you’ve met Celeste, that doesn’t make collecting Star Fragments any easier. Before you ask, no, staring at the sky for 20 seconds on the back of your island after talking to her isn’t the most efficient way to go about farming them. Instead, moving the camera angle so you’re able to see the sky while playing and doing your normal tasks can help you catch exactly when Shooting Stars appear. This might make things like Fishing and island design a little tougher, but it’s worth it if you absolutely need one of those celestial items. Another thing to keep in mind if you want Fragments are Meteor Showers. These events are completely RNG based and happen on random nights, but your villagers will mention if one is about to happen. Celeste will also show up, so be sure to keep your eyes trained on the skies when you start hearing about it. On top of all the furniture you can craft with Star Fragments, you can also make Wands which are used to change your outfit on the fly. Celeste hands out one new celestial DIY each night when she visits, and there’s always chance it could be a wand. The most important thing to remember when trying to collect the rare items is that Animal Crossing is all about the journey, not the destination. So, if you keep regularly checking back night after night you’ll eventually begin to stockpile them, no matter how bad your luck is.

  • How and where to catch Animal Crossing fish & bugs leaving after May – Dexerto

How and where to catch Animal Crossing fish & bugs leaving after May NintendoAnimal Crossing: New Horizons is set for another batch of bugs and fish in May, meaning it will also be your last chance to catch critters like the orchid mantis, mole cricket, and more leaving by the end of the month. While the types of critters that players in the Northern and Southern hemispheres may be different, every Animal Crossing player looking to complete their Critterpedia are constantly keeping up with the ever-changing selection of animals available in a month. Some bugs and fish can disappear for months at a time, making it a dreadfully long wait for people who missed out on that last animal they needed. To make sure that doesn’t happen to you, check out the full breakdown of migrating species that won’t be available in June. Northern Hemisphere bugs and fish There isn’t going to be much of a change for residents in the Northern region of Animal Crossing’s island territory. Though one in particular is going to disappoint high-stakes players who cash in on the game’s most prized fish. The golden trout will not be in the June waters for this hemisphere. The fish can be cashed in for a whopping 15,000 Bells with a single catch, but players will have to be diligent to catch it in its 4 PM – 9 AM spawn frame. Southern Hemisphere bugs and fishes Contrast to its northern relative, the Southern Hemisphere has a fair few entries. There will be 20 animals in all that are leaving when June rolls around. Chief among them will be the golden trout again. The fish is going out of the waters worldwide and won’t be back until all the way in September, so get to harvesting on them. As for the May bug migrations, the orchid mantis will be taking off until later in the year, along with nine other insects. There’s a huge log off insects that will be taking off so any missing entries in Critterpedias won’t be able to be fulfilled after May. The completionists in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community will be sure to take these dates down so that they can grind out their bug-catching sessions.

  • How and where to catch Animal Crossing fish & bugs leaving after April – Dexerto

How and where to catch Animal Crossing fish & bugs leaving after April NintendoCertain bugs or fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be leaving after April ends, making it the perfect time to go on the hunt for critters like Tarantulas, Blue Marlin and more. Depending on which hemisphere someone inhabits in the game, different varieties of animals will be available to catch or take off until later in the year. While the Northern and Southern Hemisphere differ in creatures, players looking to fill up their Critterpedia will need to make sure to check these animals off their list before the month is over. Northern Hemisphere bugs and fish The Blue Marlin and the Tarantula will be leaving after the month. Both of these creatures can yield huge selling prices, as those familiar with Tarantula Island runs would know. No other insect from the North Hemisphere will be taking off at month’s end, but the Dab and Tuna will be swimming elsewhere until they come back in October and November, respectively. Players will have all day to find Blue Marlins and Tuna located on the Piers, while Dabs can be found at sea. Tarantulas can be found sporadically in between the times of 7PM and 4AM local times, but after the month they won’t return until November. Southern Hemisphere bugs and fish Players in the south end of the Animal Crossing world are facing a major exodus from both fronts at the end of April. There’s going to be 10 different kinds of fish and bugs each that will be taking off before the start of May. The biggest catches that won’t be available anymore are the Scorpions, Banded dragonfly, Snapping Turtle, and Mahi-mahi. Anyone of those catches gives thousands of Bells each and are difficult to find, especially since some are tied to different periods of time throughout the day. Players should definitely take note of which Animal Crossing critters will be leaving New Horizons, since you could wait about half a year before they make their way back to the game.

  • Ghibli’s Spirited Away remade entirely in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Ghibli’s Spirited Away remade entirely in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @AlmightyMe / Studio Ghibli)An insanely talented Studio Ghibli fan has recreated Spirited Away in its entirety in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, making for one of the best crossovers you’ll ever see. Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away has become one of the top anime movies of all time since its release in 2001. It’s the highest grossing film of all time in Japan, pulling in over $347 million worldwide. It follows the story of Chihiro, a 10-year-old girl who accidentally stumbles into the world of spirits while moving to a new town with her parents. After her mom and dad are turned into pigs, the girl claims a job at the Bathhouse in an attempt to find a way to transform them back so they can go home. Along the way, she meets Haku, who tries to help her to return to the human world. Millions around the world love the movie, so it comes as no surprise that one skilled fan brought the fantasy film to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Spirited Away in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Twitter user ‘AlmightyMe’ brought the popular movie to the life simulation game by using the Custom Design tool to create clothing, and also modelled certain areas after locations in the film. Read More: How to make a rock garden in New Horizons – The fan starts off with the scene where the human family first stumble across the entrance to the spirit world, and goes onto act out the part where the mom and dad are transformed into pigs after eating some street food. Scene 4: “Oh, it’s delicious! Chihiro, you have to taste this.” pic.twitter.com/qn3sFCQWrg — 바보 (@AlmightyMe) May 17, 2020 They then progress through to the infamous bridge act, where Haku tells Chihiro to hold her breath while crossing the bridge leading to the Bathhouse, otherwise other spirits will be able to detect her presence. Obviously, she fails, and she’s ultimately spotted and has to flee. The user then depicts when the girl finds her way to the boiler room, where she meets Kamaji and the soot sprites. After some persuasion, the old man convinces Lin, a fellow worker, that “Sen” is his granddaughter, and that they must help her convince Yubaba to give her a job. In another scene, AlmightyMe shows Sen after getting work and helping to clean the “stink spirit.” After this, she causes havoc by accidentally letting No Face into the Bathhouse, who tempts workers with gold before swallowing them whole. After this, Yubaba’s sister Zeniba ends up turning her son, Boh, into a mouse after it’s revealed that Haku took her magical golden seal. Another scene shows the mouse travelling alongside No Face and Chihiro on the train to see the sister and to return the stolen item, and they find out that she’s actually much nicer than her sister. In one of the last depictions by the AC player, the Bathhouse owner orders the pigs to be slaughtered, but is stopped by Haku after he reveals that Boh has been “kidnapped” and offers to retrieve him, but only if she lets the girl and her parents return home. Scene 41: “Where are youuuu, sweetieee?!” pic.twitter.com/JOGLFadQZm — 바보 (@AlmightyMe) May 17, 2020 Eventually, the family leave the spirit world, with the mom and dad not remembering a single thing that happened after they were turned into pigs. The ordeal gives Chihiro newfound courage, and the movie ends with her feeling set to face a new school and a new home. The movie recreation just goes to show how talented Animal Crossing fans can be. You can view the Twitter thread with all the scenes in full here.

  • Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle recreated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle recreated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Studio Ghibli / Nintendo (via Twitter: @floaromaa)Studio Ghibli fans are on another level, so it comes as no surprise that one talented person has managed to recreate Sophie’s flower field from hit movie Howl’s Moving Castle in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Howl’s Moving Castle is often regarded as one of Studio Ghibli’s best films. Written and directed by renowned Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, it follows the story of Sophie, an 18-year-old who is cursed with the appearance of a 90-year-old woman by the Witch of the Waste, and her journey to break her curse. She encounters a wizard named Howl along the way, and the two become inseparable. It is one of the most successful animated movies in history, grossing over $236 million worldwide, capturing the hearts of millions with its gripping story. One fan decided to remake a scene from the film in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’s one of the best unofficial crossovers we’ve ever seen. Howl’s Moving Castle in New Horizons Reddit user ‘victato‘ is the genius behind the creation, and truly brought the movie to life by recreating the famous flower field scene in their game. In the film, Howl takes Sophie to his secret garden – the place he first caught Calcifer, who then became his personal Fire Demon. The fan nails every single detail down perfectly, and used a player’s house to replicate the door from the Castle to the field. The area is covered with pools of water and several types of flower, just like in the animation – and it looks beautiful. They even dressed up as Sophie and got a friend to dress as Howl as they took a leisurely stroll together through the scene, tying the entire thing together in the perfect way. This isn’t the first time a Studio Ghibli fan has recreated a motion picture in Animal Crossing: there’s been a Spirited Away one too, where someone made the famous bathhouse boiler room – soot sprites and all. Hayao Miyazaki is currently working on his last film, titled How Do You Live?, and it’s expected to release “in the next three years,” meaning AC:NH players will have a new movie to play around with in the future.

  • Genius Animal Crossing New Horizons trick lets you place houses perfectly – Dexerto

Genius Animal Crossing New Horizons trick lets you place houses perfectly NintendoTransforming your town and moving your villagers’ houses into the perfect spots can prove to be a bit tricky at times, especially if you’re still planning your permanent island layout. Thankfully, there’s an easier way. We all know the struggle of wanting to change your housing placements once you unlock terraforming and your island opens up fully, and it’s overwhelming to decide where to put them if you haven’t thought about how your finished town is going to look. With moving fees costing 50,000 Bells a pop, you really can’t afford to keep shifting them around until you find the perfect place – but one simple trick might make things a lot easier for you, and be nicer to your wallet. New Horizons house trick Reddit user _Greyling_ showed off their method in the form of a video. In their town, instead of placing the houses and then having to build their town around them, they instead planned out where they were going to go first before anyone had even moved in, all thanks to the terraforming tool. “I’ve been using a grid system to plan out my town, using path squares as markers,” they said in the clip’s caption. “Haven’t had a misplaced building, yet, and I can have each villager’s yard or patio in place before they even move in.” With the Island Designer app – which is unlocked after K.K. Slider visits your island after getting a three-star rating – they show how using the path placing tool to measure out a 5×5 grid can be used to mark out where villagers’ homes are going to go. They showed how they’d then built their town around the grids, rather than setting houses in temporary places and having to pay 50,000 in order to shift them if they want to build something else there. While having patches of dirt and grass doesn’t look all that appealing, it’s a much better alternative than forking out that kind of cash for every home you want to move – it’d end up costing an absolute fortune. The trick is great for people who want to design their island layout completely before moving all 10 villagers in, whether that’s by amiibo card, Mystery Islands, or just letting fate decide.

Gamers mock PETA for bizarre vegan Animal Crossing guide NintendoPETA shocked the world by venturing into video game guides with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’s safe to say that the internet isn’t a fan of the organization’s efforts. ‘PETA’s Vegan Guide to Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ reminded players that fishing isn’t vegan, and if you don’t fish in real life, you shouldn’t do it in a game, either. “Sure, unlike in real life, the fish in the game don’t feel pain, but fishing is harmful to animals and the planet,” the guide explained. “This is your island, and it’s your job to protect it.” This isn’t limited to fish either; according to PETA, “just as fish don’t belong in tanks, insects don’t belong inside cramped cases in a museum for other villagers to gawk at.” The guide went on to suggest players give their island an “animal-friendly name” to spread animal rights, and answered the age-old question: Is Tom Nook exploiting you? Yes, really. Surely, right on schedule, the internet blasted PETA for their strange tips. I’m vegan and even donate to PETA & this is too much lol😂. • Evidence suggests froggy chair is coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Evidence suggests froggy chair is coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoAnimal Crossing fans were left heartbroken when they discovered that the infamous froggy chair hadn’t been added into New Horizons, but evidence suggests it might be headed to the Nintendo Switch title after all. The froggy chair has been a staple of every Animal Crossing fan’s house ever since it came to the West in 2002. It is part of the ‘froggy’ furniture set, which consists of the amphibian-themed green seat and a lily-pad table. It became a massive internet joke in late 2019 after a Tumblr user replaced Thanos’ throne from Marvel’s Avengers with the chair, and thus sparked a wave of memes. This, in turn, made players sit on the edge of their seats (no pun intended) for New Horizons so they could have one in their virtual homes. Sadly, upon release, it was quickly realized that Nintendo had cut the item from the game completely. Froggy chair in New Horizons Not all hope is lost, though, as a fan on Reddit made a rather interesting discovery on April 18 that could be taken as evidence for the seat’s future addition to the game – much to the delight of players hoping to see it make a comeback. In the image ‘TopHatDuckLP‘ uploaded, they showed the workbench from the cute furniture series. While it looks like nothing at first glance, a closer look shows that the blueprints on top of the bench show something rather familiar – the chair. While this might be the only way the coveted item ever makes it into the game, some fans are convinced it’s a hint that it will be returning to the series in a future update. Who knows? “Now they’re just taunting us,” one fan wrote, referencing Nintendo’s shocking decision to remove the chair from the game completely, making it the first AC title to not contain the physical item. “Hint?” another asked. “Can’t wait for the froggy chair DLC,” someone else commented – something that wouldn’t be too far from the truth if they do actually patch it in. While a drawing on a blueprint isn’t actual concrete confirmation that the green seat is indeed coming to the game, it does spark hope for some that one day, they’ll be able to decorate their homes with the amphibian-themed piece of furniture. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was an instant success with players, as fans had waited close to seven years for the next mainline installment in the series following New Leaf’s release on the 3DS in June 2013. It sold so well that it actually smashed sales records in Japan on just its opening weekend alone, swiftly becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title to date.

  • Every Smash Ultimate character remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Every Smash Ultimate character remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoTwo of Nintendo’s biggest franchises collide after one fan spent over 400 hours recreating every single character from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo may have gotten this all started when they added Animal Crossing’s Isabelle to Smash Bros. Ultimate, but now a fan has returned the favor, redistributing all brawlers from Smash Bros. into the bright, colorful terrain of New Horizons. There are a full 74 characters in Smash Bros. Ultimate, the largest roster in the franchise’s history. And with seemingly infinite options for customization in Animal Crossing, it appears that one fan wanted to help Isabelle bring her new friends back to her original stomping grounds. While characters like Mario and Snake were probably simple to recreate, they came out adorably in the AC universe. Conversely, for characters with unconventional facial features—like Yoshi and Lucario—Redditor and the cast’s creator, ‘DJ-Dez’ was able to capitalize on the game’s intricate hat design options to create brilliant workarounds. They posted these to Reddit’s Animal Crossing hub, noting that this project took over 400 hours and could be considered their Nintendo job application. While there’s been no word just yet on Nintendo’s response, DJ-Dez is still sure to reap some incredibly positive karma for their creations. They were kind enough to share nearly all of the project’s looks (aside from a couple, like Kirby and Mr. Game & Watch, that used in-game items) through their creator ID: MA-3790-6501-6469. This is yet another example of the Animal Crossing community showcasing boundless creativity and absolute mastery over the game’s customization suite. We’ve already seen other popular characters, like Adventure Time’s Finn and Avatar: the Last Airbender’s Katara, recreated by the title’s expansive creative capabilities. Those may not have been anywhere near the scale of DJ-Dez’s 74 different outfits, but they were impressive nonetheless (and accompanied by video content and location creations, respectively). Upon hearing that some were surprised DJ-Dez was giving away all of their creations for free, their reaction was heartwarming: “I’d be stupid to charge and people would be stupid to pay. World’s crazy enough as it is and people are finding it tough, so I hope this brings a little joy.” Looking back at that silly, tiny Donkey Kong outfit—it can most certainly be confirmed that joy has been brought.

It obliterated sales records in Japan to become the fastest-selling Switch title to date in just its opening weekend alone. Pokemon fans have also been enjoying the game, designing outfits and monsters from the series and the like in their own islands. And now, one Trainer has brought battles over for that true Nintendo crossover experience. Pokemon battles in New Horizons On April 3, Reddit user ‘yurkth’ shared their design to the Animal Crossing subreddit, showing off just how they’d managed to incorporate the two games into one for the perfect crossover. Using Pokemon patterns to lay out the battle interface from what looks to be the Generation III Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games, the player labelled each side as “Butterfree” and “Squirtle” to mimic a true-to-life fight. Read More: Pallet Town remade perfectly in New Horizons – That’s not all, though – they even placed an emperor butterfly model made by Flick in the butterfly monster’s spot, and a snapping turtle on the Water-type’s side to bring the brawl to reality in a brilliantly creepy way. Yurkth picked smug cat villager Raymond to play their opponent in the match, and he looks oddly like Giovanni from Team Rocket with his gray suit outfit, which is obviously very fitting. The cat is a fan-favorite with Animal Crossing players right now, mainly due to his heterochromia, meaning he has one green eye and one brown eye which makes him very desirable. While Pokemon battles won’t be coming to the life simulation game anytime soon, this creation still manages to capture the essence of the RPG perfectly, and makes us want an official crossover more than ever. It wouldn’t be the first time the two franchises have collaborated. In late 2018, Animal Crossing mobile game Pocket Camp got a special Eevee event in celebration of the Let’s Go games on Switch, so it’s not so far-fetched to hope that they will do similar with New Horizons in the future. For now, we’ll have to settle for some amazing fan creations instead to get our Pokemon fix in the social simulation title.

  • Epic Animal Crossing crossover turns New Horizons into a Zelda dungeon – Dexerto

Epic Animal Crossing crossover turns New Horizons into a Zelda dungeon NintendoTwo Nintendo franchises, Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda, merge in a brilliant fan-made crossover that brings one of the RPG’s dungeons to New Horizons. The Zelda games are famous for their intricate dungeons that are littered with various enemies, challenges, and puzzles. It’s one of the most popular Nintendo franchises for good reason – and that’s because it’s charmed and captivated players since 1986. Another beloved series, Animal Crossing, has also proven to be insanely cherished since its release in the West in 2002. Its life simulation gameplay provides a relaxing getaway for those that want to live a peaceful life in a small town. Now, one fan has combined the two games and created a Zelda island in New Horizons that’s heavily inspired by a dungeon. Zelda dungeon in New Horizons Reddit user ‘PairofCellos33‘ shared a video of their island on April 17, showing players just what can be accomplished with a creative mind, a Zelda obsession, and the new terraforming feature – a tool that allows complete manipulation of cliffs and rivers for a true way of customizing your town. They started the tour by jumping across gaps in order to enter the dungeon, before squeezing between some barrels that were just begging to be smashed open for rupees in true Link style, and ran through a small maze of sorts. The path then took them up a flight of stairs, before they jumped across several platforms in order to reach a Fairy fountain – or, in this case, a well placed as a piece of outdoor furniture. In the LoZ games, the fountains can usually be found by bombing a wall, and a Fairy will heal all of your health. The player progressed forward through an area with lots of pots, AKA a pleasure room for Link, before heading up another incline and jumping across more platforms – very fitting for a Zelda dungeon. They then hopped across more tiles, down a long corridor with waterfalls on each side, and at the end, a giant monster sat waiting for them – think Divine Beast Vah Rudania from Breath of the Wild. While the creature was, in fact, just a monster statue that can be ordered from Tom Nook’s catalogue using your Nook Miles, it still made for an epic end to the experience.

  • Epic Animal Crossing build adds Final Fantasy 7’s Midgar to New Horizons – Dexerto

Epic Animal Crossing build adds Final Fantasy 7’s Midgar to New Horizons Nintendo / Square EnixTo celebrate Final Fantasy VII Remake’s release, a talented player has decided to merge its world with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, bringing the city of Midgar into the life simulation game. FF7R dropped on PlayStation 4 on April 10, a whopping 23 years after the original came to the PS1 in 1997. Set in a dystopian metropolis, players take on the role of a former-SOLDIER turned mercenary named Cloud Strife as he fights alongside resistance group AVALANCHE to help save the planet and overturn Shinra. The game quickly became one of the fastest-selling PS4 titles to date, shifting over 3.5 million copies in just three days of its release. New Horizons also broke sales records after its release on March 20, selling over six million units in its opening weekend alone. One fan has merged both of these video game powerhouses, bringing Gaia’s capital city Midgar into New Horizons for the ultimate crossover. Final Fantasy 7 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reddit user ‘karurujp‘ is the talented fan behind the design, and took a photo of their “city” at nighttime and in the rain, making for the perfect setup for Midgar. If you’ve played FF7R, then you’ll no doubt recognize the slum vibe they were going for by placing their setup next to a house. The light in the window and the corrugated roof floor ties the whole thing together perfectly, while the binoculars allow the player to view the upper sectors – AKA the “plates” – from below, much like people living in the slums do. With the clever use of a lighthouse, telephone poles, silos, oil drums, and forced perspective, the fan is able to create a scene that looks like it’s come straight out of the JRPG. They even made their character sport blonde hair like Cloud’s, hold a vaulting pole in place of his massive Buster Sword, and wear custom clothing designed after his garments in-game. Honestly, their Midgar redesign just makes us want to go and turn our PlayStation 4 on to play the game – it’s that good.

On April 23, Twitter user ‘Directedbyrian’ tweeted out the price of turnips on her island at 599 bells, and instructed players to DM her for the Dodo Code. In a completely unexpected turn of events, Elijah Wood saw the tweet and reached out to the player. Since release, the title has earned universal acclaim, and currently holds a whopping 91 critic score on the review aggregator website MetaCritic with 105 reviews.

  • Dream Suite might be coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons soon – Dexerto

Dream Suite might be coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons soon NintendoPlayers wanting a way to have visitors to their Animal Crossing islands without the fear of anyone messing with stuff might have their prayers answered soon if a recent datamine turns out to be true – the Dream Suite could be headed to New Horizons. The Dream Suite was first introduced to the series in New Leaf in 2013, and allowed fans to visit other people without the worry of anyone destroying someone’s hard work. It was a place where players could go to “fall asleep” and dream of other places by using a special code, with none of the changes made in the towns saving once they woke up. New Horizons doesn’t have a feature like that, and many players have reported that others have come into their towns with the promise of being respectful but then have stolen items, ruined flowers, and more. Luckily, if a recent datamine turns out to be true, that could all be about to change. Dream Suite in New Horizons Notorious Animal Crossing dataminer Ninji, who was responsible for the Leif, museum, and Jolly Redd leaks, has shared some more of his findings – and this time, it seems like the dreamy feature could be on the way. In the 1.1.0 update, he found code called ‘DreamID’ and while he didn’t think much of it at the time, the 1.2.0 April patch added a string called ‘ActorNetDreamLand.’ Put both of these together, and that’s a pretty big hint at what could be coming. According to the dataminer, the addition also includes code that sends a pack of data to Nintendo’s servers – something that the Dream Suite in New Leaf did when players visited other towns in their sleep. so, I’m gonna preface this with a caveat I’m making some assumptions here, don’t assume this is *definitely* going to happen, don’t report on it as conclusive proof I think Nintendo is bringing back the Dream Suite from New Leaf, and here’s why#ACdatamining #ACspoilers pic.twitter.com/7CfKA84UQz — Ninji (has moved) (@_Ninji) April 23, 2020 States like ‘cGetId,’ ‘cUpload,’ ‘cDownloadHeader,’ ‘cDownloadIsland,’ and ‘cReflectSave’ were also found, which also supports the theory since uploading and downloading towns is a part of the dream feature. Read More: Top 5 best town layouts in New Horizons – Ninji did express, however, that his findings shouldn’t be taken as 100% true as it’s just an assumption he’s made based on what he unearthed – who knows, it could be for something completely different, or for something that was toyed with in development but never explored further.

  • Disney Dreamlight Valley fans call Nintendo’s Animal Crossing out for missing features – Dexerto

Disney Dreamlight Valley fans call Nintendo’s Animal Crossing out for missing features Disney, NintendoDisney Dreamlight Valley combines classic Disney characters and locations with wholesome, slice-of-life gameplay, and many players are vocalizing a desire to see these features in popular titles like the Animal Crossing series. Disney Dreamlight Valley has released as an early access title across most platforms. Players have the ability to settle in the town of Dreamlight Valley, build and customize a house and farm in the many areas within the town, and create a unique and detailed playable character. Despite the game’s early model and lacking content, many players have already fallen deep into the interesting, Disney-themed narrative. The character customization is particularly exciting, offering players the ability to create complex and stunning avatars. With so many quality-of-life features available before Disney Dreamlight Valley is complete, many slice-of-life gamers have taken to social media, vocalizing a desire to see the same mechanics and features in the popular Nintendo series Animal Crossing – especially following a lackluster lifespan for New Horizons. Disney Dreamlight Valley has features ACNH keeps ignoring Disney Dreamlight Valley players have been gushing about the new game on social media, sharing avatar selfies, house decorations, farm plots, and thoughts about gameplay. One fan known as TheOtherAriel on Twitter, has posted a comment that calls Animal Crossing developers out. They state “Hear me out Animal Crossing fans… Disney Dreamlight Valley has 24-hour shops, tools that don’t break, bulk crafting, & villagers with minds of their own that actually HELP YOU with things… just sayin”. Many of the features TheOtherAriel lists have been a hot topic in the Animal Crossing community, especially following the sudden lack of content updates throughout the 2021-2022 years. Players have continued to vocalize frustration about shop hours, tool durability, crafting issues, and overall character personalities as New Horizons’ gameplay became stagnant and repetitive following its first full year of seasonal event updates. Many users have commented on the tweet, with absolutely_ali responding “Lmao Disney saw everything wrong with animal crossing and made a game I need to play this it seems fun!” and simbeeoticttv adds “And harvesting crops continuously by holding the button instead of needing to do things one by one”. While Disney Dreamlight Valley has a long way to go before its full release, and could encounter pushback for the prevalent use of microtransactions and in-game purchases, it seems it already has a lot to offer fans of the slice-of-life genre. Hopefully, these sought-after mechanics and features will make their way into future Animal Crossing games as well.

  • Demon Slayer intro gets epic recreation in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Demon Slayer intro gets epic recreation in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Ufotable / YouTube: Gelly Roise[jwplayer 91I9RIGm]An Animal Crossing player used New Horizons to recreate Demon Slayer’s epic intro sequence. The artist’s merging of the wildly popular anime and the beloved Nintendo title makes for one of the best crossovers you’ll ever see. Animal Crossing got its first game in almost seven years with the release of New Horizons in March. The Nintendo Switch title introduced players to the new terraforming tool which allows them to shape their town to their wildest imaginations. This new mechanic has sparked a wave of creativity from users, and one fan has used the feature to bring popular anime Demon Slayer to AC. The stunning creation reimagines Tanjiro and Nezuko in the most adorable way possible. Demon Slayer re-imagined in New Horizons Demon Slayer was the breakout anime of 2019, as the viewers from around the world became captivated with the Kamado siblings and their tragic story. A fan of the series took Animal Crossing’s new terraforming tool and re-created the anime sequence in the Nintendo title. The creator behind the project is YouTuber ‘Sneaky Egg’, who uploaded the intro to their account on June 2. The incredible re-imagining went viral with over 501k views at the time of writing. The video cleverly recreates each shot from the intro using the social-simulation title’s in-game assets and emotes to capture scenes from the anime. • Build-A-Bear drops cryptic hint about possible Animal Crossing collab – Dexerto

Build-A-Bear drops cryptic hint about possible Animal Crossing collab Build-A-Bear / Wikimedia Commons / NintendoPopular toy maker Build-A-Bear has dropped what some are taking as a cryptic hint to a potential crossover with Nintendo to make Animal Crossing: New Horizons plushies. We all remember being an 8-year-old and getting overly excited over being taken to Build-A-Bear to build our own plush doll. Getting to pick a softness, a scent, and a name for our new fluffy friend felt like the best feeling in the world. While many of us have grown up and out of that phase, it’s not wrong to assume that an Animal Crossing crossover would get a load of adults queuing up outside the store in the hopes of owning their favorite villager as a plush. That very thing could be happening in the future – if a cryptic tweet by the brand’s official account is to be believed. Our very own Blathers doll? Sign us up! A Build-A-Bear x Animal Crossing collab? On May 21, a Twitter post by ‘@kkmapIe’ went viral, who stated that an AC crossover with the toy company would be amazing. “A build a bear x animal crossing collab would be a cultural reset,” they tweeted. Read More: How to grow blue roses in New Horizons – The tweet caught the attention of the official Build-A-Bear account on May 22, who replied with a massive tease. “Wow! We’re taking notes…” they said, alongside a bear emoji. This sent the internet into meltdown, and the post has received over 10.5k likes at the time of writing. People responded to the cryptic message by tagging friends in excitement, and mentioning villagers they’d love to see in plushie form (we’d personally love a Beau one to cuddle at night). It wouldn’t be the first time the company has collaborated with Nintendo, so another crossover wouldn’t be something to rule out. They’ve worked together since 2015 on Pokemon toys, and even have had a Super Mario range, starring Yoshi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and more.

  • Bizarre Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch lets players walk on water – Dexerto

Bizarre Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch lets players walk on water Nintendo (via Reddit: u/3llowh)A strange, yet hilarious bug in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is allowing players to go “out of bounds” and literally run around on water – Jesus style. Glitches are nothing new in New Horizons: there’s been item duplication exploits, villager moving issues, and more since its release. Nintendo is usually quick to patch the more serious errors out, so it’s becoming all the more rare to find one – especially those that affect play in such a serious way. Animal Crossing players have discovered a new bug that luckily isn’t of the game-breaking type, and is just a bit of fun that sees your character jumping atop bridges and walking through rivers like it’s nothing. Reddit user ‘3llowh‘ discovered the bizarre glitch by total accident, and it’s something that could probably be a bundle of laughs with friends over online multiplayer. Using a rock, they managed to launch their character on top of the nearby bridge by hitting it with their shovel and then digging a hole at the right time to propel themselves. The AC fan then leaps off the bridge and into the river below, wading through the water with a carefree spirit as though it’s always been a feature and not an odd glitch. The player’s river is short due to their waterfall placement, but if you have a longer river area then you can have more fun with this bug – you could even create some sort of water game with your friends. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has proven to be a smash success ever since its release on March 20. Millions of players – both new and old – dived head first into the game, and fell in love. It sold so well, that it broke sales records in its opening weekend alone, and shifted over 13.41 million units in just six weeks, making it the most successful Nintendo Switch title to date.

  • How to plan your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons – Dexerto

How to plan your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: triforcemeg)Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows you to plan out your island which is an important part of the process if you want your island to be perfect. Here’s how you can best prepare your island paradise to find a warm aesthetic using the ACNH Island Planner. A standout feature in Animal Crossing New Horizons is terraforming, which empowers players to tailor their island to their liking. However, for those new to the game, mastering this tool can be a formidable task. Luckily, there’s an Animal Crossing Island layout planner tool that will make the whole process 10 times easier and means you won’t be designing and then demolishing your work over and over again to try and make the perfect layout. Introducing: the Island Planner app – AKA the answer to all your prayers. Animal Crossing island planner Developers Rob Fichman and Carmela Diaz are the brains behind the genius idea and have created a 3D application that lets you create your town layout without actually being in the game itself. The tool starts off with a blank canvas of grass that you can build upon using an array of options like building cliffs, carving out rivers, and setting paths. You can even put the buildings where you’d like them to be, such as the museum and Nook’s Cranny, and can manipulate rivers and cliffs to make waterfalls and multiple levels. If you’re finding it difficult to place objects, you can enable a square grid to help, and there are several camera angles and zoom levels to give you a better view of how it’s all coming together. After you’ve made your layout, you can even save it to your computer for easy reference later when it comes to replicating it in your real town. The tool can still be of great use to players who don’t need much inspiration to design their island. Carving out rivers and cliffs can be a pain to master, especially with all of the diagonals, so you could use it for practice. Currently, elements including rocks and trees, aren’t available, but the developers are working on it – so stay tuned to the app’s itch.io page for updates. How to plan your Animal Crossing island? There are many unique and interesting designs that you can achieve when planning your Animal Crossing island. • Best way to make millions from turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Best way to make millions from turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoTurnips can be a huge money-maker in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but it’s not always possible if your selling prices aren’t great. Luckily, there’s a way to predict the best time to sell for maximum profit. New Horizons released onto the Nintendo Switch on March 20, after an agonizing six-year wait since the last mainline entry in the life simulation series. Fans were so eager to get their hands on the game that it broke sales records in its opening weekend, becoming the fastest-selling title on the console to date. One of the main goals for new players is to save up Bells to pay off Tom Nook’s house loan, and one of the best ways of doing that is by selling turnips bought from Daisy Mae to Timmy and Tommy for a high amount. Sadly, their buying prices fluctuate a lot, and they’ll offer to take them off your hands for way less than you initially paid – which obviously isn’t ideal. How to sell turnips for millions in New Horizons The ‘Animal Crossing Turnip Price Forecaster‘ is a fantastic tool created by a fan that allows you to predict when your selling price “spike” will be with the two raccoons. It works by having the player input their stalk market prices from the last few days, and figuring out the best way to make a profit. The tool performs best when used for a couple of weeks, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get accurate numbers straight away – you need to input as many numbers from previous days as you can for it to predict the correct spike. Timmy and Tommy’s buying prices change twice a day at 8AM and 12PM, so you’ll need to note down both prices on the Forecaster for it to work as accurately as it can. Note that you can’t sell turnips on a Sunday due to the fact that it stops players from buying them from Daisy Mae and then turning around and flipping them for a higher price straight away. You’ll also need to sell them by 10PM on Saturday nights, otherwise they’ll turn rotten and all those hard-earned Bells spent on them will be down the drain – the same thing happens when you time travel, too.

  • Best way to get all of Redd’s art fast in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Best way to get all of Redd’s art fast in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Collecting all of Jolly Redd’s genuine art for your museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be a lengthy process, but there’s a shortcut to speed it up. The wait after purchasing art from Redd can be agonizing, not to mention the uncertainty of its authenticity. Completing your museum’s collection can take months, even with legitimate purchases, but there are ways to hasten this process. We all know the pain of buying art from Redd and having to wait an entire day for him to mail you your purchase before you can donate it to Blathers – and that’s if it’s real or not. And even if you buy every legitimate piece from him, it takes months to complete the set. There is another way – although it requires the use of a time travel exploit to speed things up, which is something not every Animal Crossing player is down for. If you are though, and are extremely eager to fill out your museum collection, then keep on reading. How to get all New Horizons art fast As mentioned above, you’ll need to time travel for this technique so if you’re not willing to do so, then this isn’t the method for you. There are 43 pieces of art to collect, and include a variety of different paintings and sculptures. Before you begin the trick, you need to make sure you’re on a day where Redd is visiting your island. To check, simply head to the northern section of beach – AKA the “secret beach” – and look to see if his ship is docked there. Once he’s there, buy a legitimate piece of art from his store. He won’t always sell a real item every single time, so just be prepared to walk away empty handed sometimes – it’s fine, it happens. Then save and exit your game, before heading to System Settings > Date and Time. There, turn off Synchronize Clock via Internet, fast forward one day, and then reboot New Horizons back up. Be careful not to go any further than that, or it can mess up his schedule. If you bought a painting or statue, it should appear in your mailbox for you to donate to Blathers, but don’t worry if you didn’t. After this, simply just save and quit, revert to the day before, and he’ll be back and have new stock. Rinse and repeat until you’ve got everything. • Best flower & gardening layouts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Best flower & gardening layouts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo (via Twitter: @triforcemeg)Many Animal Crossing: New Horizons players aim to beautify their town. Using flowers in specific layouts can greatly elevate your island’s appearance. Check out these awesome gardening layouts. Making your town visually appealing in Animal Crossing, particularly in New Horizons, is a creative process. The game offers new features like terraforming and outdoor furniture placement to enhance your town’s charm. One thing that’s stayed the same, though, is planting flowers. Many players will do this to add more scenery to their islands – not to mention you need to do so to be able to achieve 5 star status. Growing different colors and types together can make a massive difference as well. New Horizons flower layouts Green-thumbed Reddit user ‘N8vtx‘ has mastered the use of flower layouts to create beautiful floral arrangements, having shared multiple different ones online to cater to every type of player and theme. After all, why just plant them anywhere when you can make it look a million times prettier by using different colors and types? If your town has more of a darker, gothic-esque feel to it, then their ‘Vampire’ design might be for you, whereas if you’re embracing the warm weather and summer vibes, the ‘Tropical’ theme could fit in perfectly. Another set of layouts shows off the ‘English Garden’ set, which would be perfect for placing outside cute villagers’ homes such as Lolly, Flurry, or Fauna. ‘Primrose’ fits the more serious, smug type such as Raymond, Marshal, or Julian, since the yellow and blue gives off a more masculine, businessy vibe. N8vtxn even designed a floral arrangement for the Able Sisters shop, matching the red, green, and yellow hues to some yellow cosmos, red windflowers, green mums, and blue hyacinths. The ‘Toadstool’ design would also be a great accompaniment to the Nook’s Cranny, as the store’s sign is red in New Horizons, though you could match it to your house if you have a similarly colored roof. ‘Sweetart’ reminds us of candy, so it would really help to beautify a sweets or a princess-themed island with all the different shades of pink and purple. Many, if not all, of these designs require hybrid flowers, which can take some time and patience to grow. To find out how to produce them quicker, check out our guide here. Basic Animal Crossing: New Horizons changes would make life way easier NintendoA few simple upgrades to Animal Crossing: New Horizons would completely change the game for some players, especially since it would cut down the time to craft and stock up on tools. There are dozens of elements on an island that need constant upkeep. From weeds to clear, to trees, rocks, and bodies of water to harvest precious resources from. With every swing of the axe or fishing pole cast, a tool’s durability slowly starts to wear on it until it disappears and breaks from excessive use. But the player can run into an annoying problem since New Horizons neither gives people a way to know how much life a given tool has left, or a way to quickly craft a few of the same item if they know they’re about to go on a cleaning spree. It’s because of those nuances to the game that players have thought up of simple quality of life upgrades that would go a long way to making New Horizons less of a hassle. A basic life bar under a tool in a player’s inventory would be highly advantageous for villagers to have. User ‘Evagast’ showed how it could look to have a status bar that turns red if your shovel, for example, is about to break. This would do away with any guesswork if someone is about to go on a Tarantula Island run or will be far from a crafting station to make new tools. But even when making new items, there’s still the tedium of having to craft those tools one by one. However, that could instantly be remedied by user ‘2e7en_’s idea to change the crafting system so that it would let players make multiple items of the same kind with a simple ‘Craft Many’ option. The idea is to eliminate the default process of having to go through numerous text boxes just to make one item. Something that would be a joy to have in the game is the ‘Craft Max!’ button in 2e7en’s design that lets players use up all the materials they have in their inventory to make the most with what they’re bringing to the workbench. These simple Animal Crossing: New Horizons tweaks would let players manage their inventories much better to focus more time into customizing their islands. Whether or not something along these lines will be added in the future, though, remains to be seen.

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender reimagined in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Avatar: The Last Airbender reimagined in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo / NickelodeonAvatar: The Last Airbender fans are bringing their favorite Nickelodeon animation to Animal Crossing: New Horizons with some epic creations that’ll give you a serious urge to go and watch the show. Despite ending in 2008, The Last Airbender is one of the most popular animations ever made, capturing the hearts of millions around the world with its epic story. It follows a monk named Aang who is the Avatar and the last of the Air Nomads after being frozen in ice for 100 years. The show has won several awards, including the prestigious Peabody Award for the way it handles difficult themes such as war, free choice, and depression. It is still so popular today, that Animal Crossing fans are recreating scenes from the series in the Nintendo game, proving just how much of an impact it’s had. Avatar: The Last Airbender in New Horizons Without spoiling, Aang, Katara, and Sokka visit the Spirit Oasis at the end of Book One, and Reddit user ‘demonica12‘ decided to bring the tranquil location to their Animal Crossing island. They included the pond, which even houses fish like it does in the animation, and the archway. The location is a lush, secluded area filled with various greenery, which the fan replicated by using bushes and flowers. They even dressed up as the Waterbender to pull the whole thing together. Another fan, ‘ItsPronouncedOiler,’ recreated one of the show’s most devastating scenes with uncle Iroh in Book Two – again, we’ll keep it spoiler-free, but if you know, you’ll know it’s impossible to get through it without a dry eye. They used a tea set, a plain wooden shop sign, and an incense burner to set the scene, not forgetting to overshadow everything with a tree. “Leaves from the vine. Falling so slow. Like fragile tiny shells. Drifting in the foam.” User ‘submerging‘ reimagined the Ember Island Theater from Book Three in their town. It’s featured heavily in the series’ iconic re-cap episode where Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph watch the hilarious play The Boy in the Iceberg. Using Custom Designs, the fan recreated all of the characters’ outfits and displayed them on stage, as though the scene is really playing out in real time. They even included the seats so villagers can come along and watch the action any time they please. If this has made you want to go and watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, you’re in luck as Netflix has just added it to their service, meaning you can binge it to your heart’s content – just don’t forget to bring tissues. The streaming platform is also making the animation into a live-action show. For everything we know about the highly anticipated reimagining, click here.

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender intro remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Avatar: The Last Airbender intro remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nickelodeon / Nintendo (via Reddit: u/suks__)A talented Avatar: The Last Airbender fan has recreated the Nickelodeon animation’s intro in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’ll give you a serious urge to go and watch the show. The Last Airbender is constantly praised as one of the best animations of all time. First released in 2005, it follows the story of 12-year-old Aang after he awakens from being trapped in ice for 100 years, leaving him the sole survivor of the Air Nomads – and the Avatar. He embarks on an epic quest to master the elements to save the world from the Fire Nation’s grips, alongside his trusty team Sokka, Katara, and Toph. The show even won the prestigious Peabody Award for the way it handles difficult themes such as war, loss, free movement, and depression. And it’s just as popular with fans too, with one viewer recreating the entire into sequence in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, making it a crossover we’d all love to see happen officially. Avatar’s intro recreated in New Horizons Reddit user ‘suks__‘ is the brains behind the masterpiece, using the life simulation’s villagers to recreate the famous intro sequence. They start off by using octopus Marina for Master Pakku as the waterbender, cat Tangy for Sud as the earthbender, alligator Drago for Azula as the firebender, and goat Sherb as the airbender. Read More: Top 5 most savage Azula moments in Avatar – It then goes through the part where “the four nations lived together in harmony, then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked” is played out, before using Raymond as the part of Roku, who was the Avatar before the 12-year-old. Dog villagers Marcel and Daisy play Sokka and Katara as they find the last airbender trapped in the ice, before it reveals Sherb as Aang. The ending sees him facing backwards to mimic the Avatar standing on the rock at the end of the real intro. This isn’t the first time a fan has brought the animation to New Horizons – places such as the Spirit Oasis have been reimagined, as well as THAT Iroh scene that will make you cry. If this has put you in the mood to watch The Last Airbender, you’re in luck as Netflix has just added all three seasons to its service, meaning you can binge-watch to your heart’s content.

  • Attack on Titan Season 1 intro remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Attack on Titan Season 1 intro remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wit Studio / Production I.G / YouTube: イヨくんのあつ森チャンネル[jwplayer 91I9RIGm]A skilled Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has remade the entire intro for Season 1 of hit anime Attack on Titan in the game, bridging the two in an epic crossover you’ll wish was real. Attack on Titan is often regarded as one of the best animes of the 2010s. It follows the story of Eren Yeager, a young man who lives in the town of Shiganshina, which is surrounded by giant walls that protect humans from Titans. He enlists in the military alongside Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert after his mother is eaten and his father disappears, swearing revenge. Talented Japanese fan ‘Iyo-kun’ decided to remake the show’s Season 1 intro in the newest Animal Crossing title, New Horizons. The Nintendo game has been a hit success since its release in March, and this creation is the latest crossover mockup to make its way into the series. Attack on Titan in Animal Crossing The intro starts off with some cleverly used simple panels with custom designs on to mirror the gate of Wall Maria, before the title card “Animal or Titan” cuts in. It then shows an AC version of the 104th Cadet Corps standing in a battlefield alongside Mikasa, Eren, and Armin, before flicking to the Colossal Titan. The group are shown zipping around the town using their vertical maneuvering equipment which allows them to boost around at top speed to avoid monsters’ attacks. Eren is then pictured running along the wall to whack a Titan on the head with a net, which is used to replace his pair of swords in the real opening – Nintendo is family friendly, remember? Iyo-kun uses a Custom Design on their own town flag to replicate the Wings of Freedom, before going on to attack poor old Hopkins repeatedly with a net. It ends by showing the group looking up at the sun in a moment of peace amongst the chaos that is Attack on Titan. If this has given you a serious urge to go and watch the much-loved anime, you’re in luck. All current episodes are available to watch on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. The show’s final season is set to air in October, giving you plenty of time to catch up. For everything we know about the end, check out our guide here.

  • Another item duping glitch found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Dexerto

Another item duping glitch found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons NintendoA second item duplicating glitch has been found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, although this one is a bit more limited than the first as it only allows players to clone a specific type of object. Shortly after New Horizons released in March, a glitch that allowed items to be duplicated was found. Although it was quickly patched by Nintendo, the damage was already done and some players scored themselves millions of Bells by cloning some of the game’s most expensive items and selling them for a quick buck. Now, a second copying bug has been discovered – though, this time, it’s very specific and only works with objects of a certain size. Still, some of the items can quickly rack up money, making it another potentially economy-breaking exploit in the life simulator. Animal Crossing item cloning glitch The discovery was made by YouTuber ‘Artificial Switch’ who shared a video on how the trick works and the specific process behind it. You’ll need a 2×1 and a 2×2 table, and the 2×1 item you’d like to duplicate. A popular choice are the wooden low and wooden block tables – though you can use any that fit the size. Place the tables in the middle of the first room in your house, making sure the item you want to clone is placed on the smaller one. Press the down arrow on the D-Pad of your controller to enter placement mode, and move the smaller piece of furniture to another side of the big one without rotating it yourself – drop it while it’s overlapping slightly and it’ll rotate automatically. Read More: 8 best New Horizons terraforming ideas – Repeat the above steps three times, and then exit the room. Upon re-entering, you should see a copy of whatever item you placed on the small table alongside the original one. While only 2×1 pieces of furniture work, the great white shark model sells for 45,000 Bells, the whale shark model for 39,000, and the arapaima model for 30,000 – making those three great options for making some sweet, sweet money. Nintendo will probably be quick to patch the exploit out like they were with the first glitch, so be sure to be quick to the draw if you’re interested in profiting off of it. Though just bare in mind that although there haven’t been any punishments for duping items as of yet, it’s unclear as to whether it could happen in the future so do this at your own risk.

  • Annoying Animal Crossing bug is ruining islands with permanent cliffs – Dexerto

Annoying Animal Crossing bug is ruining islands with permanent cliffs NintendoAnimal Crossing: New Horizon players beware, there’s a new glitch in-game that could totally change the way your island looks. Modifying islands and customizing them to your liking plays a huge part in New Horizons, whether that be using the terraforming feature to transform different areas, or something more simple. However, while the Nintendo Switch game has been a huge hit since it released on March 20, some players have been astonished to find that with just one innocent interaction, the island they have worked so hard to build could be completely ruined. The problem was flagged by Danielle Cruz on Facebook, as seen in the Reddit post below from rquinain, showing that permanent changes of colossal proportions can be forced upon players simply by popping a balloon. She said: “Don’t pop a balloon with a present over your fourth layer of ground and accidentally forever create a monument to an unopened and unobtainable present,” sharing three images that show the damage this bug can cause. The first screengrab shows the player approach the balloon and it progressively gets worse the further you look through them, with the last picture showing that it’s not actually possible to repair the damage caused by the bug. Sharing this bug on Reddit could serve two purposes, really. First of all, members of the community will now be aware of the problem and hopefully don’t go on to make the same mistakes. Secondly, they will also be hoping that Nintendo spot the post – which has been upvoted by thousands of fans – and resolve the bug in the near future. “I’m sure hoping that they have some kind of patch for this,” one Redditor said, while others complained about not being able to build on the fourth level, where the problem occurred. Does the Animal Crossing cliff bug have a fix? There has been no indication, at the time of writing, that Nintendo have spotted a problem and are working on a fix. Well, with that in mind, Twitter user MrOrdun has shared what could be a potential solution to the problem. All you need is another player to give you a hand. https://twitter.com/MrOrdun/status/1247271338504368128

  • Animal Crossing players outraged over “insane” Bunny Day Easter event – Dexerto

Animal Crossing players outraged over “insane” Bunny Day Easter event NintendoEaster has arrived in Animal Crossing, but New Horizons players are already fed up with Zipper T. Bunny and his “insane” egg hunt that seems to be ruining the island experience for many. Animal Crossing has always celebrated holidays – with Easter being no exception – but for the first time ever in a mainline entry, they are no longer a one-day thing. Nintendo has introduced long-form events in New Horizons, with Zipper T. Bunny and his epic egg search lasting 12 days. The event sees players finding an array of eggs from various activities such as digging, tree shaking, and balloon popping in order to craft special, limited-time furniture, clothing, and items. Not everyone is happy about this, though, and claim that it’s severely affecting their ability to live a normal island life without interruption. New Horizons’ “insane” Easter event One of the types of items, the Water egg, can only be found by fishing. While this seems like fun at first, many are reporting issues with the frequency of them when they’re just trying to catch normal fish to either sell or donate to the museum. “I’m really starting to hate the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Easter Event,” Twitter video game personality Stealth tweeted. “The rate of eggs when fishing is WAY too high!” Many users agreed with his thoughts, and even American model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen seemed irked by the frequency of the event items. “I don’t get it. He asked for 6 eggs and I have 1 million. Do I just sell them? All he does is talk,” she quote-tweeted. I don’t get it. He asked for 6 eggs and I have 1 million. Do I just sell them? All he does is talk https://t.co/abHhPImUGy — chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) April 2, 2020 It’s not just fishing that’s plaguing players, apparently. The rate for balloons seems to be getting under the skin of some too, especially since tools break in New Horizons, meaning they have to go and craft another one. “I’ve gone through three slingshots today. That’s more than I’ve made since I bought the game on launch. Balloon spawn rate is insane,” user ‘RomerosSoldier’ replied to Stealth’s original post, calling the frequency “insane.” “I had three balloons on screen at once,” ‘player965347’ commented. “This was seconds after my slingshot broke!” Zipper’s Bunny Day celebration started on April 1 and is set to end on April 12, giving players plenty of time to collect everything needed to craft the limited-time items. New Horizons has proven to be a hit success with fans worldwide, despite being annoyed by the game’s first event, and smashed sales records in Japan to become the fastest-selling Switch title to date.

  • Animal Crossing players can now visit an “insane” Fallout-themed island – Dexerto

Animal Crossing players can now visit an “insane” Fallout-themed island Bethesda Softworks / NintendoHave you ever wondered what a Fallout-themed island would look like in Animal Crossing? Well, this player has managed to make it a reality. Often, when we think about Animal Crossing, we generally imagine the creative and gorgeous-looking islands that many players have showcased throughout the years. After all, the game does offer plenty of customizations and terraforming tools to make one’s dream island. However, not every island has to look cozy, as it all boils down to whatever the player prefers. And for this particular player, that’d be a Fallout-themed island resembling the game’s irradiated wastelands. Right from the start of their TikTok clip, the player was able to showcase run-down buildings, broken streets, and irradiated water on the beach. You could also see abandoned cars and trash piles on the island. It’s clear that a lot of effort was put into this island, as each building has various details and clutter to emphasize the post-apocalyptic vibes. The player’s character wearing a fitting Vault Jumpsuit and encountering another survivor with a gas mask also gave the clip a nice additional touch. If you’re wondering how long this took to build, the creator mentioned 1,410 hours in the comments. What’s more impressive, however, is that there were no mods used. So, you can imagine all the dedication that was put into this, whether that be collecting the furniture or customizing it. And considering how the island turned out, it’s safe to say all their effort paid off. Viewers flocked to the comments to praise the player’s “insane” dedication, and some were eager to visit the Fallout-themed island themselves. Fortunately, that’s all possible since the player shared their code: DA-0419-5866-5722. If you love checking out other islands in Animal Crossing for inspiration and enjoy Fallout, this one is a must-visit.

  • Animal Crossing players are building Pokemon locations in New Horizons – Dexerto

Animal Crossing players are building Pokemon locations in New Horizons Nintendo / The Pokemon CompanyWhile you can build almost anything in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, some Pokemon fans have taken their favorite series and built locations from it in the game, merging the two franchises into one. One of the new features added to the Animal Crossing series in New Horizons is terraforming – a building app on your Nook Phone that allows you to build cliffs and rivers to your heart’s content, making the Switch title one of the most customizable and unique in the entire franchise. Pokemon Trainers have jumped at the chance to design their own custom islands, and have created towns and Gyms from the RPG franchise in the game, pulling the two titles into one in an amazing and inventive crossover. Pokemon towns in New Horizons Sword & Shield players will no doubt recognize Ballonlea, the small town is situated in a secluded forest in the Northern Galar region. The location is very distinguishable due to its dark atmosphere that’s lit up with bright, glowing mushrooms and toadstools. AC:NH fan JayB*tchahoe decided to bring the fantasy-esque location to their game, and created a room in their house that’s the spitting image of it. Including a cherry-blossom floor, a crescent moon chair, and some luminous mushroom lamps, the Trainer managed to replicate the Pokemon location perfectly. In the Switch RPG, the region is meant to resemble the United Kingdom, so it’s unsurprising that Game Freak decided to include a dense wooded area in the game, as the country’s countryside is littered with them. Another player, Steviewonderful73, created a Gym on their island, taking inspiration from the game’s Water-type Trainers for their building. Surrounded by waterfalls, the walk up to it looks epic as heck. This is a great example of how the terraforming tool can be used to completely transform a town when used properly, and the Reddit user’s work looks legendary, to say the least. Imagine wanting to challenge the Water Gym, and having to walk up that path. They even sported an Ash Ketchum outfit, complete with cap and all, for that true Pokemon effect. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has proven to be a hit success with players – and not just Pokemon fans – since its release on March 20. There were almost seven years between mainline entries in the series, so it’s understandable why it was so hyped. It was so popular, in fact, that it smashed sales records in just its opening weekend alone, knocking Sword & Shield off the top spot for fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title of all time.

  • Animal Crossing player transforms New Horizons town into EarthBound – Dexerto

Animal Crossing player transforms New Horizons town into EarthBound NintendoOne crazily talented Animal Crossing player has merged EarthBound into their New Horizons town, making for the most perfect Nintendo crossover you’ll ever see. EarthBound – otherwise known as Mother 2 in Japan – first released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in the West in 1995. It follows the story of a 13-year-old boy Ness, who is goes on an epic journey to save the world from an evil alien named Giygas. The role-playing title is constantly cited as one of the best video games of all time. A fan of the RPG decided to take their favorite 2D adventure and merge it into Animal Crossing: New Horizons, combining the two Nintendo franchises into one. It is so good, it’ll leave you wanting to dust off your SNES to dive back into the cult classic. EarthBound in Animal Crossing Twitter user ‘koumepo’ is the brains behind the genius idea. In order to replicate the RPG in the life simulator, they used the game’s Custom Designs feature to import patterns, and then placed them on the ground to mimic the 1995 title. EarthBound’s main character lives in Onett – a small borough surrounded by hills and dense forests. Players will no doubt get serious nostalgia from the maker’s video, as it transports you right back to the tiny town as they take you on their tour. They even sport Ness’ signature red cap, blue and yellow striped t-shirt, shorts, brown backpack, and red shoes, and tie it all up by using the game’s vaulting pole in place of his famous baseball bat. https://twitter.com/koumepo/status/1247247608759726082 Another set of images show the party members of the game, including Paula, Jeff, and Poo. We particularly love the pigtail hair accessory used to make the prince of Dalaam – it’s so realistic! https://twitter.com/koumepo/status/1255806961750171650 Animal Crossing fans are a talented bunch (if you couldn’t work that out already), and have even replicated locations from other Nintendo games such as The Legend of Zelda, and Pokemon. Animal Crossing: New Horizons player tearfully recounts losing 500-hour island NintendoAll Animal Crossing: New Horizons players fear losing their beloved islands, especially after putting hundreds of hours into them. One woman told the fateful story of her own 500-hour loss. When the hustle and bustle of daily life gets to be too much, hopping on games like Animal Corssing: New Horizons helps players instantly relax. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever and this rings especially true for fans with lost or corrupted islands. One such unlucky player took to TikTok to discuss her Animal Crossing: New Horizon island’s demise, garnering thousands of sympathetic comments and views. After spending over 500 hours customizing and decorating everything, she could barely describe what had happened between sobs. Dedicated Animal Crossing player cries over lost island The player in question uploaded this video on TikTok detailing how her Animal Crossing: New Horizons island was lost. After spending a decent chunk of 2020 gathering her favorite villagers and terraforming to her heart’s content, an update came along and destroyed the progress in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, Nintendo was unable to help Jessica as she had apparently incorrectly backed her island’s data up. To further rub salt in her 500-hour deep wound, she had been paying the online subscription for months to prevent this very scenario from ever unfolding. While many fellow Animal Crossing players came to the rescue with offers of bells, some were more keen to ask questions about how Jessica could access her island again. She made a follow-up video after fans sent such questions regarding any potential back-up saves. When asked about her dream address the TikToker explained why she did not have one. Sadly, it seems that she will never see her virtual villagers again. This is certainly a tragedy, but it’s also a good reminder for Animal Crossing players to make sure they are backing up and saving properly to prevent any such misfortune.

Seeing the elements from the game brought to life highlights how ridiculous they would be in the real world. The skit hilariously ends with the player holding a fossil in his hand, and then hearing the cries of an owl. Holding the object in the air, he offers it to Blathers. This isn’t the first time Animal Crossing has been brought to life. Video-game composer Laura Shigihara went viral in February when she adorably performed K.K. Slider’s iconic tune K.K. Cruisin’ during a Twitch broadcast. Streamer ‘ItsSlikeR’ also captured the Nintendo title IRL when he comically imitated the way player models run after watching footage of the life simulation’s gameplay. “Have you noticed how the people run in Animal Crossing? It’s like this,” he exclaimed. He then threw his arms back and sprinted across his room, even mimicking the way characters grab objects. Animal Crossing continues to capture the imaginations of players from around the world. The game has exploded on social media, as well as streaming services like Twitch and Mixer. New Horizons also has smashed sales records, becoming the fastest selling Switch title of all time – a feat that had previously belonged to Pokemon Sword & Shield.

  • Animal Crossing player goes full Breaking Bad with insane secret lab – Dexerto

Animal Crossing player goes full Breaking Bad with insane secret lab Nintendo / AMCThe options are truly endless in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with you being able to create an island in your own vision, but one player went the extra mile and created something – well, right out of Breaking Bad. The popular series is built on deep storylines, with a lot being hidden away from the public eye, and one fan of the series has brought that same energy to what appears to be an unlikely setting, all things considered. You walk into houses in Animal Crossing and usually see pretty paintings, maybe even some unique layouts that people have created, but in one particular house in-game all is not what it seems. There might be a whole load of furniture in the home of Reddit user bagelcrisp, but there’s something that not everybody will know about just waiting to be explored. Of course, just like Walter White, they appear to be cooking up something very interesting in a hidden room – and it might well be one of the most creative ideas we’ve seen so far. After moving the bookshelf out from its slot, a black room appears. Right behind it, well, you guessed it… The lab is unveiled in all its glory. “Got myself a little side business apart from selling turnips,” the user said, before explaining what others need to do in order to pull off the same sort of lab design. They added: “I honestly made it on a whim to show my boyfriend lol. I just have so much furniture stored I just put the jankiest furniture and decorations up. As long as you have the science set on a table I’m sure people will get the idea lol.” This isn’t the first crossover design that’s been put together in Animal Crossing and after seeing this one, just like another user said, it’s very much looking a lot like Breaking Bad: New Horizons instead.

The island offers a place to go and peruse and pick up every single item you desire, all for free. On Twitter, @Jaiofeden is giving players the chance to visit the island by asking users to retweet and follow her account. The Island is meticulously organized. Naturally grouped all together are Flooring and Wallpaper, K.K. Slider Songs, Plants, Beach items, and wall-mounted items. A giant part of the beach is dedicated to Miscellaneous items, placed next to all throwback items. A separate section is also dedicated to villager posters with sub-categories: new villagers, Sanrio, non-playable characters. The other main sections are organized by room or use. “Kitchen Heaven” contains all kitchen and diner items, “Recreational Kingdom” contains all gym and arcade items and all lamps, “Restroom and More” includes instruments, bears and electronics as well as bathroom items, while “Bedroom and Living room Utopia” does what it says on the tin. Updated Catalog Island Map! Hope to do one final update in the future with all Saharah rugs pic.twitter.com/DBCI8eApvS — Catalog Island (@CatalogIsland) July 6, 2020 Jai hopes to do an update in the near future with every single rug from Saharah, who sells mystery rugs, flooring, and wallpaper. Since the island’s opening, Jai has been showered with praise, with one visitor saying “that is the most beautiful, most organized island I’ve ever seen… I already ordered like 60 things” How to get invited Jai invites 4 players at a time and uses more than one method to select those visitors. Jai specifies that in order to be invited you must be a follower. She will often take a selection from people who have retweeted her or commented on a tweet that day. She also specifies that she will not accept accounts with no profile picture and no followers as those profiles cannot be accountable for stealing.
