CBS Studios announced an animated series based on the popular social deduction game Among Us; here’s everything we know about it, so far.

Developer Innersloth released Among Us in 2018, but the multiplayer social deduction game didn’t enter the stratosphere until 2020.

The game’s sudden rise to a cultural phenomenon saw it expand to other worlds via its Fall Guys crossover, VR adaptation, and, more recently, a Destiny 2 collaboration.

Now Among Us is looking to take over another medium, evidenced by the recent announcement of an animated TV show. Here’s what we know about the series, so far.

Who’s behind Among Us’ animated TV series?
Through its CBS Eye Animation Productions division, CBS Studios will produce the Among Us adaptation alongside series creator Innersloth. The studio behind Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks, Titmouse, will animate the project.

Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis is on board to executive produce, with Innersloth’s Marcus Bromander, Carl Neisser, and Forest Willard also attached in executive producer roles. Antonio Canobbio, Ben Kalina, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski from Titmouse will similarly serve as EPs on the upcoming series.

As for casting, so far we don’t have any names attached to the series so far.

Where will the Among Us series air?
At the time of writing, CBS Studios has not specified a release date for the animated series.

Unsurprisingly, details about a potential release window have also yet to surface. There’s no telling how long the series will be in the works before a release date is announced.

Additionally, no network or streaming services have been attached to the show as of yet, however, according to Variety, those talks are still ongoing.

The Among Us animated series’ plot details
According to Variety‘s reporting, CBS Studios has already shared a logline for its animated Among Us show.

The logline reads as follows: “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the general story of the animated series will be similar to what you’d do in the video game.

The teaser is of a frame from the series, of a pizza party seemingly gone awry. “Patient Crewmates are rewarded with a pizza party (totally safe) (not a trap),” the Twitter account jokingly captioned.

Further confirming that work on the show is still progressing, but still with no release window in sight.

GTA players want more character customization in GTA 6 In GTA Online, players have loads of options for what kinds of cars they own, clothes they wear, and even tattoos they can get. However, some fans have pointed out that there are far fewer options when it comes to the height and weight of your character, limiting the true customization process. In a thread posted to the GTA subreddit, NotASynth499 begged the question, “You know what would had been great? Being able to pick different body types.” The post has since blown up, receiving over 7,200 upvotes and inspiring the community to imagine what could be coming in GTA 6. Many in the comments have agreed with the assessment the author made, and believe that more really could be on the way in the franchise’s next installment. One in the comments wrote, “Considering Red Dead Online has this, I’m sure we’ll see this in the next game. The multiplayer in open-world Rockstar games seem to keep expanding and building off each other, so I’m hoping they bring over the better character creation of Red Dead Online.” Others see this as a way to live out what they’ve always wanted to be online, or even just to make their character more like the real thing. “Yes! I would like to be fat and rich. In-game I am only rich, in real life, I am only fat, would like to combine those even in the game :D” It’s clear that fans want more of what other Rockstar titles like Red Dead have brought to the table in terms of character changes. With Rockstar’s boss promising to give players “what they want” in the next installment, perhaps there’s hope out there for those in the comments of this thread.

GTA Online players roast “scam” Cayo Perico heist rewards after big discovery Rockstar GamesRockstar Games have been on the receiving end of the strangest-ever roast from the GTA Online community after they realized the Cayo Perico heist should actually have better rewards. The GTA 5 community is growing continually, with millions of players still jumping into the multiplayer game to wreak havoc, complete online missions, and heists. The most recent heist, of course, was Cayo Perico – where players can target various different prizes to collect at the end. These include everything from gold bars to a Panther statue. However, after making a big discovery related to the gold bar rewards and potential earnings for the heist, some players aren’t very happy. GTA players on Cayo Perico heist rewards The GTA Online Cayo Perico heist can earn players between $900,000 (for Tequila) to over $2 million (Black Panther statue on Hard difficulty). Gold is a secondary target for the heist, though, with a value of $333,184 per stack – of which there are 25 in each stack. A post started surging up the GTA Online subreddit on August 24, where one user – PoliteCypress34 – decided to take a look at how much gold is currently worth in the real market. Read More: Best GTA RP servers and how to join them – From there, they worked out that each gold stack in the heist worked out to 25 gold bars, which was actually $8,650,000 – much higher than what Rockstar gives out. That means that there’s a difference of about $6 million+ on the table, and some players have even gone as far as blaming character Miguel Madrazo for pocketing the cash. The original poster of the meme above called him a “scammer” due to the difference in amounts. While it’s all fun and games, nothing serious, it does raise the point about potentially seeing these heists have greater rewards in the future. GTA Online arrives on next-gen this November, available for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 with a major “expansion” and changes to the way the game plays. Whether or not more rewards will be a part of that transition remains to be seen, but after seeing the real-life value of the gold, people will certainly be crossing their fingers.

GTA Online players share money-making schemes A recent update overhauled the in-game economy, and players earn more from various activities. A Reddit user shared their best money-making scheme and claimed to make 60 million dollars from using the bunker. The player posed the question to the rest of the community; What is your best strategy, and how much did you make? Nightclubs are a great source of income for GTA Online players. 10 nightclubs are available for purchase in GTA online, and players can customize the club’s style and name. One player claimed to make around 60 million dollars from owning a nightclub. The comment received over 500 upvotes. Another player stated, “my agency has to be my best money-making method. Grinding out payphone hits and security contracts has made me millions so far.” Rockstar recently held a special promotion that rewarded players 2x the rewards through payphone hits. A player claimed to make 120 million from the Cayo Perico heist. An update on July 29 fixed several Cayo Perico heist bugs, such as the cutscene bug during the Cayo Perico Heist Finale. For those who may have missed it, GTA Online is hosting a Sprunk vs eCola event for players to earn some easy rewards. Sprunk and eCola are undoubtedly GTA’s most popular fictional drinks, but they’re not the only spoof cola’s Rockstar created for the game. As such, fans are mourning the fictional sodas that didn’t get a spotlight in the event, particularly Orang-O-Tang. GTA Online players mourn Orang-O-Tang soda A post on the GTAonline subreddit sparked some debate about which fictitious GTA cola is really the best of the bunch. Reddit user ColePerfettiFan made the post which featured a picture of a bottle of Orang-O-Tang with the caption “Screw everyone else, Orang-O-Tang dominates.” The post was clearly made in reference to the ongoing brand war event, which has surprisingly divided the community in the best way possible. While most players have their focus on the two soda juggernauts, there are some players who would have gladly supported Orang-O-Tang. “I would pick it over Sprunk or eCola. I love Fanta but not a fan of Sprite or Cola,” said user hcnsj. GTA fan Eddy63 instead gave a shout-out to Junk Energy Drink, which is featured prominently in several aspects of GTA Online. Of course, other players took the opportunity to meme on others for their taste in soft drinks. “Thank god people like you exist, I’d never know what to do with all the leftover orange soda at parties. Here ya go,” said user TheCupcakeScrub. Another fan said “As much as I hate Sprunk, and am at war with them, I will never understand who the hell drinks orange soda.” Unfortunately, fans of the less popular fictional cola options will just have to silently support their favorite brands from the sidelines as Sprunk and eCola continue to duke it out for the crown.

With its Halloween content in full-swing, and plenty of regular updates in the pipeline, fans of the online title have plenty to look forward to as well. While there’s plenty to enjoy in GTAO, the community certainly has their fare share of concerns as well. The latest outrage against developer Rockstar revolves around buggy cop spawns that, while hilarious, are also frustrating for any players experiencing them. GTA Online players amazed by buggy cop spawns Word of GTA Online’s latest game-breaking bug spread after one player posted a clip of their encounter with the glitch. “Rockstar isn’t even hiding it anymore,” they complained while sharing the footage. In their clip, the player can be seen fleeing from the Los Santos police force while participating in a heist. They blow past several cop cars and enter an underground garage, where they appear to be safe, at least for a moment — but things went horribly wrong from there. As they exit the stolen cruiser, two officers suddenly spawn in the car — appearing, quite literally, out of thin air. The player tries to react but is quickly shot down, with the game’s signature ‘Wasted’ message then scrolling across the screen and the heist coming to an unexpected close. Fellow GTA Online players were astounded by these unexpected in-game mechanics. “I’ve seen some s**t [in GTA] Online, but that was f**kin ridiculous,” one fan joked. “And this brilliant AI is made by a multi-billion dollar company,” another comment read, adding the buggy police behavior to a list of complaints that fans want addressed before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. “[That’s a] Cyberpunk 2077 vibe [right] there,” another fan teased, drawing comparisons between the buggy police behavior and similar occurrences in CDPR’s open-world title. It remains to be seen how or if Rockstar plans to address this particular glitch, but for now make sure you are on the lookout for any Cyberpunk-esque cop spawns that might throw you off your game.

GTA Online players want iFruit phones to change in GTA 6 Take-Two InteractiveAfter many years of relying on GTA Online’s iFruit phone, fans hope GTA 6 will feature an updated version of the smart device. The Grand Theft Auto series has long outfitted its protagonists with mobile phones. No one can forget the overwhelming number of times GTA 4’s Nico Bellic received calls about bowling from his cousin, Roman. Phone functionality increased tenfold with the advent of GTA 5, allowing players to surf the web, snap pictures, and more. The iPhone-style iFruit served as just one of the devices used by the main cast of characters. It made its way into GTA Online, too, providing the interface for certain multiplayer features and Maze Bank accounting needs. GTA Online players want an iFruit phone upgrade Reddit user Arctic317‘s post about wanting an upgraded in-game phone for GTA Online is resonating with players. Thus far, the post has garnered more than 1,300 upvotes. Some fans commented their thoughts as well, with many making suggestions for quality of life features. One Redditor said an update that allows players to “sort, remove, and favorite” in-game contacts would be nice. Another GTA Online user suggested a change that enables garage management, so vehicles can be moved from place to place without hassle. Commenters in the Reddit thread also questioned why their multimillionaire GTA Online characters still use the nearly 10-year-old iFruit device. Others reasoned the phone constitutes little more than a burner phone for hiding criminal activities. Whatever the case, it should be interesting to see how Rockstar Games further expands upon the in-game phone feature in the next Grand Theft Auto entry.

Unfortunately, one unlucky player’s attempt to rock chrome on their ride ended up a total disaster. Racing is one of the most popular pursuits in GTA Online, with countless players spending hundreds of hours perfecting their craft as a speedy driver — and it doesn’t hurt that you get to show off your most expensive and good-looking cars in the process. While most races generally provide some basic rewards like cash, JP and RP, there are also more exclusive unlocks tied to racing that require some truly astounding skill and effort to obtain. One of these high-level rewards is the chrome unlock, which can only be obtained by winning a whopping 50 races. For one unfortunate GTA Online player, the time they spent acquiring chrome ended up a total waste, as the rare paint job turned their ride into an unbearable eyesore. In a clip shared to Reddit, the unfortunate GTA Online player shared the abomination that resulted from their attempt to slap a chrome coat of paint on what appeared to be their most prized motor vehicle. “Get chrome they said, it’ll be fun they said,” the player remarked sarcastically while sharing a clip of their vehicle driving around with its fresh coat of paint, and simultaneously burning the retinas of anyone who dared look in its direction. Despite their best attempts to make the car look cool, its new chrome detailing turned it, quite literally, into a speeding ball of light — like looking at the sun, you shouldn’t focus on the car too much in that clip, unless you want to risk permanent damage to your eyeballs. Fellow GTA players wasted no time in poking fun at the poster over this hilarious mistake. “I see nothing wrong here,” one fan joked, before doubling down on the jab: “Actually, I just can’t see anymore.” The roasting didn’t stop there, however. “On the bright side, no one can grief you from behind without becoming blind,” another comment read. GTA Online players have finally found perfect anti-griefing weapon Rockstar GamesDealing with griefers in GTA Online is always cumbersome, but the latest update may have provided the perfect tool for the job. Rockstar finally dropped the Los Santos Drug War update, bringing a new business in the form of the Acid Lab, new vehicles, and a host of new jobs. The new Gun Van is finally here as well, taking Ammu-Nation on the road. The Gun Van turns up at different locations around Los Santos, dishing out some of the best weapons you can wield in GTA Online. One of which is the Railgun, which finally makes a long-awaited return. GTA Online community members got their hands on the fan-favorite weapon, and its power shattered expectations. GTA Online players praise Railgun addition A GTA Online player asked on Reddit, “do you think that the rail gun will be the next overpowered griefing tool.” The Railgun is a single-shot weapon that excels in taking down vehicles. Mastering the weapon requires pinpoint accuracy, and its poor blast radius limits its impact in dealing with large groups of enemies. In the right hands, the Railgun has the potential to be overpowered, but community members believe it will serve more good than evil. One player responded, “A griefing tool needs to be mobile so that it can chase people down. This is much more defensive, and I think it’s definitely more of an anti-griefing tool than a griefing tool.” A second user added, “I think it will be both a griefing tool and an effective way to combat griefers.” Community members agree the weapon will be perfect for taking down pesky vehicles. “if I need to take out a jet or helicopter for whatever story or anti-griefer reason, it’s just as effective as the explosive heavy sniper was. If you find yourself in a pinch with the police or another rival crew, good old Uncle Lester is typically the way to go. A quick call, and an even quicker dip into your bank account, and you’ll be able to cool the heat down just a bit. However, some players believe the abilities that Lester has are “pointless” at this point in the game, and are going their own way without his help. “Lester’s abilities are pointless. I thought that the ability to lose wanted level by calling Lester was a neat feature… Until I realized that you can’t use the ability 95% of the time,” one Redditor said, searching for tips on how to quickly escape the police after all these years. “I use the sewer tunnel from the Vangelico heist in story mode. They’ll never follow you down there,” one fan answered. “You can buy a scuba suit from Amm-U-Nation so you can breathe unlimited underwater,” another added. One fan suggested putting on a mask to lower your wanted level by one star instantly, which surprised some other players after all these years. “You’re telling me I’ve played this game for many years and only now found out changing to a mask drops a star?” one said. “It’s crazy how this game has been out 11 years and there’s still things I had absolutely no idea about. That’s crazy,” another added. “Almost 10k hours across 3 console generations and I’m just now finding this out?” another chimed in. There will be plenty of other changes coming to GTA Online in the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, but don’t count on Lester getting much of an update anytime soon.

GTA Online players hail The Contract update as “the best DLC yet” Rockstar GamesGTA Online’s latest update, The Contract, takes players on a story-based thrill-ride with both GTA 5 protagonist Franklin Clinton and fans have high praise for the game’s all-new content. The world of GTA Online updates has become a familiar one over the last eight years. From new weapons and vehicles to the addition of new high-stakes heists, Rockstar Games laid a familiar blueprint that all players could adjust to and keep up with. While The Contract does tread over some of that familiar territory, the inclusion of original missions that tie directly into GTA 5’s story mode has players giving the devs a virtual round of applause for their latest efforts. GTA Online players praise The Contract update When Sewfan posed a question about the quality of The Contract, fans came out in droves to share their opinions One user pointed out that adding the story missions to this game brought a nice change of pace to the usual Heist grind that they’ve become accustomed to: “I am glad we’re getting more Story Focused content, I feel like we have enough Money Making content in the game, especially after last year with Cayo Perico.” Another commenter emphasized how important it is that the player-controlled character finally gets to meet and interact with a member of GTA 5’s notorious main characters: “what I love the most about this DLC is how you are now officially canon in the life of GTA 5’s iconic character (not as a background reference anymore).” Others are hopeful that the friendship that forms between their character and Franklin means that more Contract content could be on the way in the future: “Now that I think about it, there’s a lot of potential in this segment. They don’t even need high-profile names, can just use in-game celebs as well.” There’s no word on what the future of GTA Online will look like as of yet, but fans certainly wouldn’t mind if this update paved the way going forward.

Players can always try their luck at the Casino Lucky Wheel to make it big. In a viral video, a GTA Online player showed a glitch burning down their apartment and all of their cash. Fortunately, the user didn’t actually lose any money from the bug, but it’s always possible to lose large sums of money quickly. With that being said, the developers offering $500,000 for completing a simple survey may be a can’t-pass-up opportunity if you are lucky enough. GTA Online players earn $500,000 for free GTA YouTuber Dash_GTA Tweeted that they received an email offering $500,000 For completing a Survey. Rockstar stated that the survey is a GTA Online feedback survey and, “upon completion, you will receive a gift of GTA$500,000 to use in GTA Online. The YouTuber believes that the emails randomly go out to Social Club members, so there doesn’t appear to be a way to sign up for the survey manually. One player responded, “I’ve noticed more players are starting to receive this email. I’m still waiting for mine.” A second user added, “I got one of these back in 2020, they didn’t offer me any money, though.” If you are lucky enough to receive an email, $500,000 for just 10 minutes of time seems like more than a fair enough trade-off.

GTA Online players furious Rockstar is “killing” Cayo Perico heist with nerfs Rockstar GamesGTA Online players have blasted Rockstar for “killing” the Cayo Perico heist with a raft of nerfs and changes, claiming it’s not really worth the effort anymore. Over the years, Rockstar Games have added plenty of new heists to GTA Online, but there is none more lucrative than Cayo Perico. The job, which sees you leave Los Santos for a private island, was added back in 2020 and has remained popular ever since. However, in a bid to shake up the game’s economy, Rockstar has made changes to the heist in recent months – mainly lowering the potential take that you can find yourself leaving the island with. On top of that, they’ve also increased the setup costs from $25,000 to $100,000 – which isn’t much, but is annoying – and changed the spawn rates of certain targets. We’ve not seen the lucrative Panther Statue for a while, for example. GTA Online players believe Rockstar is “killing” Cayo Perico heist Well, it seems players have finally had enough, and have accused the devs of wanting to ‘kill’ the heist because of the money they’ve made off it in recent years. “They might as well just delete it from the game if they’re that dead set on killing it,” said one. “I haven’t played it in several updates now as unplayable as they made it, and it was barely playable before. UD makes less money, but it’s actually decently fun and not a complete frustrating chore.” Another agreed: “It really pains me to read about all the nerfs and unnecessary patches 🙁 There are other viable moneymakers, but they will never measure up to OG Cayo.” “I’ve moved on to making money in my nightclub, selling mixed crates for my business, delivering stuff to ammu-nation, and calling dude for the payphone hits…,” another disappointed fan commented. Rockstar are unlikely to revert any of the changes in full, but it’s not out of the question that they could bump the payouts back up in the future. We’ll have to wait and see.

GTA Online player gets compensated by Rockstar after griefing incident Rockstar GamesOne GTA Online player shared a message to the player who trolled them online, showing off a massive in-game compensation from Rockstar. Like any massively popular online game, GTA Online has its fair share of trolls and griefers who enjoy interfering with other players’ games. Usually, fans just have to grin and bear it while doing their best to avoid the more troublesome and annoying players. However, one target of a GTA Online griefer got to flaunt a bit of satisfaction after getting griefed after they contacted Rockstar Support and received a hefty sum of in-game cash. GTA Online trolling victim gets compensated by Rockstar A post from user __Username_Not_Found on the GTA Online subreddit sent a message out to the person who griefed them and ruined a sell mission they were trying to complete. The caption said “To the random troll who blew up my cargo during the sell mission and immediately left the game (he was on my team)” followed by an email from Rockstar Support. The email said that although “as per game design other players can destroy the crates” they offered a “one time accommodation” for incident and added an astounding GTA$ 1,000,000 to their account. The post gained over 6,700 upvotes in under 24 hours, as tons of players reacted in surprised that Rockstar Support actually compensated them for the incident. “You got your cargo destroyed and reached out to Rockstar Support and it actually worked?” asked Reddit user oqni, to which the original poster responded “I did assume they wouldn’t care.” While other players were skeptical that the email warranted a response from Rockstar Support, the original poster further fleshed out the situation in the replies. “I allowed 2 random players to join my SecuroServ and started a cargo sell mission, one of them sticky-bombed the boat until it blew up. Then immediately quit out the game,” they said. They go on to explain that the incident happened a few nights ago, which explained how Rockstar Support was able to get back to them. “I had spent all night loading up, it was worth a little over $1mil. I understand its part of the game but I’m glad Rockstar boosted my mood about it.” While some may dispute the necessity of in-game compensation for a griefing incident like this, it’s always nice to see developers go the extra mile to help out players after bad in-game experiences.

GTA Online players furious over “nightmare” loading times Take-Two InteractiveLoading directly into GTA Online expedites an annoying process of going through story mode, but a player unearthed a major flaw in the quality of life feature. GTA Online devs don’t plan on slowing down any time soon, despite intensifying GTA 6 rumors. In an interview with GamesRadar, Rockstar North design director Scott Butchard claimed the development team still has plenty of surprises in store for fans. One of those surprises came on March 16, as new missions were added to GTA Online as part of the “Los Santos Drug Wars: The Last Dose” update. Unfortunately, community members slammed the update for recycling a GTA V story mission. Disgruntled players also raised concerns over a recent quality-of-life change that contradicts its purpose. In one clip, posted to Reddit by user Samo1580, it’s clear to see the game is struggling to keep up with a high-speed chase as items around the player pop in and out of view, making it impossible to figure out what’s going to happen next. “What in the actual f**k did Rockstar do to you guys on old gen consoles after the update… that’s unplayable…,” said one player. “My PS4 has been running GTA perfectly for nearly a decade and when I restarted the game for the update a few weeks ago, it instantly started doing this,” added another. Some players are convinced that Rockstar are intentionally stacking GTA Online with tougher updates to try and “kill off” the previous generation of consoles. “Maybe they are really forcing us to switch on new gen. How unfinished and s*it is this update jfc,” said one annoyed player. “This recent update completely broke the game,” added another. “It’s damn near unplayable and I guarantee they won’t fix jack.” Another commented: “I don’t really have an issue with the content this update gave us. Other GTA fans were quick to identify the famous item in Pokemon as well, with many sharing their thoughts if the reference was intentional. “Every time I’m in the Infernus I think this,” another player said. GTA Online’s Pokeball easter egg? Driving the Infernus gives people a clear look at the rear fender, giving people plenty of time to take notice of the brake lights. There are four in total with two being completely red while the remaining lights have a white bottom half that illuminates when reversing. GTA fans feared the worst, but Rockstar said they don’t “anticipate any long-term effect on the development of ongoing projects.” GTA 6’s initial leak started a wave of other rumors and Easter eggs surfacing. Fans digging for clues is inevitable, but it raises questions over Rockstar’s ability to fend off any unwarranted leaks. A breach bypassing GTA online’s two-factor authentication system is the latest in a string of security issues at Rockstar, and players are furious, to say the least. Massive exploit steals GTA Onlne Social Club accounts The GTA Online Social Club allows players to track their stats manage their crews, or check achievements. Crews consist of players that battle against other crews and form alliances. Players can rank up their crews, unlocking cosmetic items and challenges. However, there seems to be some nefarious activities going on pertaining to crews and it’s causing some major concerns on social media. GTA YouTuber Ghillie revealed, “someone is stealing Social Club accounts through Rockstar Support bypassing two-factor authentication and deleting crews.” The YouTuber claimed they had both of their crews wiped by the exploit. On September 24, GTA Online player PLTytus claimed his crew was “stolen today despite strong password and two-step verification enabled.” Deleting crews erases any progress made, and stolen Social Club accounts prevents players from tracking hard-earned stats and achievements. Rockstar Support has not yet commented on the issue or provided any ways to prevent the exploit. We will provide an update once we know more information.

GTA Online players finally uncover a way to purchase Taxi Cabs Rockstar GamesThe GTA Online community celebrated as players can now purchase Taxi Cabs properly, rather than just stealing them from random NPCs. GTA Online now allows players to run their own taxi cab business by communicating with The Downtown Cab Company, where they can purchase the car on Warstuck, after which they can use it to perform a job. According to a post shared on Reddit, the Taxi Cab costs $650,000, making for quite a pricey investment for a low-paying job. Prior to this feature debuting, players could only use The Downtown Cab Company to get to specific places. But now, players can sit in the driving seat rather than just the passenger. Once the player gets to The Downtown Cab Company, they should receive a text with instructions, telling them to go pick up their client. Keep in mind, this must be done outside of passive mode — leaving the driver vulnerable to attacks from other players. After reaching the client, don’t kill them by running them over. Wait next to them, and they should come in. Then just drive them to their destination, and drop them off. The player’s next job will show up after completion, just like a real taxi-driving job. The community on Reddit joked about the implementation of the new feature after all these years. “How to make the GTA Online community completely disinterested in a vehicle in one step: Pegasus.” “At that point just call a cab and steal it, it’s gonna be just as fast and you won’t have to go get it,” a Redditor replied. “And it’s FREE!” another added. October has been chock-full of weird occurrences in GTA Online. UFOs floating in the sky, homicidal cars, and killer clowns were all added for Halloween. But now a new mystery has popped up: a strange blue orb floating in the sky. You have to look close or you’ll miss it entirely, but it definitely seems to be up there. That’s no moon! At first you can barely see it as it blends in, but after being zoomed in on you can actually spot something in the regular sky. It does look blue and it does look big, but other then that exactly what it is is currently one of GTA Online’s biggest guessing games. It sort of resembles Neptune, but Rockstar adding a gas giant to the skies above San Andreas wouldn’t really make much sense. That is, unless we’re getting an actual outer space heist soon. Except for the fact it changes when zoomed in on with the sniper scope, it could almost be mistaken for lens flare as well. Some players on Reddit jokingly suggested it was the Orbital Cannon Mk. 2 returning, this time in Death Star mode. Still others suggested it could just be a graphical glitch for the actual, in-game moon, showing up as a blue placeholder instead of the regular thing. Whatever it is, it might not be a bad idea to keep your eyes to the sky for any future updates following the Halloween event. Who knows? As noted by Gaming Detective on Twitter, these messages read, “We are watching,” and, “Connect the lines.” However, other references to UFOs and aliens have users thinking this might be related to a Halloween event instead, which makes sense for to Rockstar delete the items if they were released early. “Rockstar accidentally added it into the game with the DLC launch instead of locking it behind drip-feed. It’s not a GTA 6 tease like we all hoped,” Gaming Detective concluded. However, it’s still possible that this leads to a big GTA 6 reveal. Remember, the Definitive Edition of GTA Trilogy’s San Andreas featured an image of a UFO that many users believe is the first screenshot of GTA 6. GTA Online players discover return of classic car glitch Rockstar GamesRockstar Games might have thought the time where GTA players would toy around with in-game car glitches had been and gone. However, one has been found again and the word is out. The game developers thought that they had seen the last of the problem back in Grand Theft Auto IV, where a “cursed” swing set on a playground would launch vehicles miles into the distance. Yet, a very similar glitch has appeared in the series’ current title. This bug can be particularly useful for those looking to escape a police chase, but not so much for the fine folk at Auto Repairs or Los Santos Customs, because at some stage you’re going to need to fix your vehicle up after it takes a huge hit when landing. Gate glitch in GTA Online Showcased in a Reddit post from erikag02, who was playing on Xbox One platform, the glitch can take place at a particular spot on Los Santos’ streets. All you have to do, based on the footage, is line up your vehicle next to a specific automatic gate in the game and start to accelerate, crashing against it constantly for a few seconds. After a few moments, this will spring board your car backwards by some distance. Talking about the glitch, the user said: “It’s the gate that is glitched that made my car fly. I just pushed my car against the gate in a certain spot and held the acceleration button to make my car drive into it. I also tapped the brake button a few times to get it positioned to get the glitch working. Took a few tries, but I was eventually launched in the air.” In the clip, the player was close to landing in a nearby swimming pool, although you can’t really control where you drop. Unlike the “cursed swing set” of yesteryear, this glitch shouldn’t really damage your car until it lands. Damaged vehicles do tend to work better for the glitch, though, so worth giving that a try. The previous bug used to sometimes trash your car without sending you off like a rocket, so it’s cleaner in that respect but not as consistent. Sometimes it will launch high and other times long. Where is the glitched gate in GTA Online? If you’re wondering where the fence is, it can be found outside the mansion property in the area of Rockford Hills – as seen in the map below. Whether or not Rockstar knows about the issue is unknown at the time of writing, giving players a window of opportunity to try it out. Some users have also claimed that the gate can do the same to planes, but it might be quite a tight squeeze to get one in the yard and into that position. No doubt some of you will take that as a challenge, though!

GTA Online players discover long-lost secret to fast traveling Rockstar GamesA clever player has shown that it’s actually possible to fast travel in GTA Online, something even a lot of veteran players weren’t aware of. Unlike its cousin Red Dead Redemption Online, there’s no ingrained “fast travel” system spread across the map in GTA Online. This isn’t as big of an issue in GTA though, as you can use trains, planes and automobiles to get from point A to point B. However, one player has found there is a fast travel option available in GTA Online, you just have to know where to go to use it. The reason this trick isn’t more well known is probably because you can only access the fast travel option from inside the Diamond Casino. Not only that, you have to own the Casino Penthouse property as well. As Reddit user yungnoodlee shows us, once you’re part of the exclusive Penthouse club, you can finally take advantage of fast traveling. How? By ordering some limo service, or course. Now, walking up to the front desk and ordering a Limo to take you wherever you want is nothing new, but based on the amount of upvotes noodlee’s video got on the subject, it’s probably safe to say a lot of players didn’t know, or just forgot. The chauffeuring service is also available at a touch of a button using your iFruit mobile in-game. In order to request a ride, simply drop Ms. Baker a call and wait for her to pick up and send someone to scoop you. So, where can you go with the limo or car service? You can basically teleport to locations across every corner of the GTA 5 map, whether it be down in Los Santos – as far as the Los Santos International Airport – or as high as Paleto Bay. GTA Online players discover insane MTL Cerberus flying glitch Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto players have discovered a hilarious trick in Los Santos that allows all sorts of vehicles – even trucks – to take to the sky. Previous GTA Online glitches have seen cars spring up into the air like a slingshot, but this one is actually much more controlled, transforming whatever vehicle you would like to use into a controlled flying vehicle. All you need is an MTL Cerberus. Just like other exploits, this one has been met with some caution and suspicion by members of the community. After all, there are tons of different mods out there that can make it seem like bugs are in the game, and the real ones are often difficult to take advantage of. However, one Reddit user has moved to debunk claims that a stunt boost glitch doesn’t exist, by posting a clip showing exactly what happens when it’s done correctly. As seen in the clip, some of the heaviest rides can be launched into the air and land on the map’s tallest buildings, just by following a few quick steps. This player decided to use an Apocalypse Cerberus, which was part of the Arena War update. When modifying the vehicle, you can add a “shunt boost” ability to the truck, which was added to allow players to quickly shift left and right, side-swiping other cars on the road. However, instead of using it for that function, Blaze_Razgriz1 and others have found that when you make a jump, hitting the shunt boost while turned to the side can actually launch your vehicle into the air like a jet. If you’re having a hard time finding one of these trucks, they can also be purchased in-game, but it will cost you. These behemoths sell for a whopping $3,870,300 in-game, added as part of the Arena War update. It’s a custom truck that can be adapted in many ways and is not the only one that can be used to perform this glitch. It also works for the Sasquatch, Imperator, and a handful of others. This is a trick that members of the community might have heard about for some time, with YouTuber Evolve Stunting posting about it back in November 2019. However, not all users have perfected it just yet. “I can’t even do it with the Issi, meanwhile this dude is effortlessly levitating 40 tons” one said, while another added: “I tried this with the Sasquatch, but I couldn’t get it to even remotely work.” Clearly, it’s easier said than done to make the magic happen. But there’s a few parts of GTA Online that are more tilting than the trolls that can sometimes crop up while finishing a mission. GTA Online players want QoL fixes That’s why the GTA community wants RS to deliver some quality of life updates to some annoying issues to make the experience flow better. For example, user ‘captainvideoblaster’ pointed to a bizarre Style option that lets you ‘Change Appearance’ for $100,000. Though there’s a confirmation step before dumping a hundred grand, players agreed that the button should really be somewhere else. “Of course you don’t just lose $100k just for accidentally pressing it,” another person said. “But it takes you out of the session which is annoying as f**k. Needs to be fixed. No reason for it to be the first option.” Meanwhile, for the Los Santos motorheads with a garage bigger than their shopping list, an indicator to tell if you’ve already bought a specific car model would avoid duplicate purchases. “It would be good if there was a prompt that said ‘You already own this vehicle, are you sure you want to buy another?’ And give a yes or no choice. Whether it be double RP and cash for a specific mission, or a brand new vehicle to drive around the streets of Los Santos in, the small updates all add up to keep the game refreshing — and players continue coming back. However, much of the community has been let down by a recent patch, in which they expected a brand new vehicle to arrive. GTA Online fans disappointed with recent update On September 22, a Reddit post from GTA content creator Need For Madness Auto claimed that the brand-new Obey 10F car (based on the real-life Audi R8 V10) would release next week, along with its modified widebody version. Expected to be part of The Criminal Enterprises’ drip-feed, where Rockstar continuously releases content in the following months after an update, fans were ecstatic to get their hands on the new vehicles. However, the new patch on September 29 left fans gutted, as the new cars weren’t available in-game. “My disappointment is immeasurable,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “Tell me when this stupid car comes out. I’m getting tired of waiting,” another added. Others hit out at Rockstar, slamming them for not pressing some buttons to release content: “What a dogsh*t company holy sh*t, can’t even press two buttons to release content that’s literally already in the game,” one player hit out. Needless to say, the community isn’t pleased — especially when considering they’ve been waiting since July to get their hands on the car after it was initially teased. Nonetheless, many are optimistic they’ll finally get their hands on it sometime soon.

Presently, there only exists one police-branded vehicle that players can own in Grand Theft Auto Online – the Riot Control Vehicle (RCV). This law enforcement truck costs a pretty in-game, but some may find the price worth it since the vehicle features operational emergency sirens. Naturally, GTA Online users want to own and operate even more police cars. They know exactly how Rockstar Games should expand upon this particular option, too. GTA Online fans still hold out hope for Cops and Robbers update Reddit user MrDrSirLord recently shared a screenshot of a Park Ranger vehicle parked outside their home in GTA Online. Notably, an in-game message says the player can’t park the SUV in their garage. This instance inspired the Redditor to create the post in question, wherein they call for Rockstar to let players “own something with sirens on it other than the RCV.” The popular online title is also past due for a Cops and Robbers update, the original poster added. Requests for a Cops and Robbers update are almost as old as GTA Online itself. According to a report from several months ago, Rockstar once planned on releasing this type of content. Apparently, the studio canceled a Cops ‘n’ Crooks update due to police brutality protests sparked by the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020. A Bloomberg report alleges the Cops ‘n’ Crooks mode would’ve taken inspiration from the children’s game, splitting up teams into good guys and bad guys. Higher-ups sidelined the idea amid concerns about how the public would perceive the narrative following the 2020 protests. Should this prove true, it’s unlikely that such a mode will ever see the light of day in GTA Online as it currently stands.

Police can only reach a certain level of power with a five-star wanted system in place, compared to the traditional six-star rating that was iconic among the game’s loyal player base. When players commit enough crimes and reach the highest tier, it’s still the usual Los Santos forces coming out to stop them. In previous GTA titles, when the action ramped up, superior armed forces were often called in to deal with threats. After years of increasingly powerful content drops in GTA Online, players want to see the franchise’s iconic six-star rating back in effect. “Since GTA got way more militarized over the years, Rockstar should bring back the six-star [wanted level],” Reddit user ‘DaxExter’ suggested on August 10. Not only that, but with the six-star ranking should come the Army as well, the player added. At first, GTA Online players were equipped with much of the same arsenal featured in GTA 5’s single-player experience. This meant the usual range of weapons and vehicles were available. Since then, however, Rockstar has gone on to add some extraordinarily powerful tools to the online experience. “Now that we have s*** like a submarine with guided missiles, I think the time has come where we should get that six-star wanted level back.” From flying motorbikes to exceptionally beefy tanks, players aren’t really concerned about cops in GTA Online today. “Police nowadays [are] just annoying and not a threat,” DaxExter explained. This shouldn’t be the case.” Bumping up to the classic six-star difficulty could see some challenge reintroduced to the online mode. It didn’t take long for thousands of players to chime in and support the notion. “Would love to see it added back,” one player said. “My question is why did they remove the sixth star in the first place?” another asked. Given we’re already eight years into GTA 5, it may be too big an update to fit the current title. Players want changes to GTA Online clubs On July 28, user Bones-Ghost posed a question to the GTA Online subreddit to see if anyone still went to the clubs, or had generally forgotten about them. “Do people still go here?” Ghost wondered. “I kinda want an update where there’s an update for the club.” Reading the comments it’s clear other than the mission to retrieve the judge’s watch from the club, most players don’t frequent these spots all that much. Other than comments poking fun at players who spend a bit too much time in them, most players want to see more content for them or see them turned into a player-owned businesses like nightclubs. One interesting thing players noticed was that there is currently a strip club in Los Santos that is inaccessible to players, much like the Diamond Casino used to be many years ago. Some take this as a sign we could get them as an ownable business in a future update, but right on the tail of Criminal Enterprises, it’s just too early to tell.

Possible GTA 6 hidden message discovered in GTA Online As noted by Gaming Detective on Twitter, a new shirt added for GTA 5’s 10th anniversary includes a ton of numbers. GTA fans at GTANet, never one to miss a possible hint, were quick to put the numbers into a decoder. Lo and behold, it turns out that the shirt contained a secret message. That message is as follows: “ONE DAY WILL REVEAL ALL.” It’s not clear yet what this message means exactly or if there is anything part to the message that fans have yet to decipher, but this is certainly very mysterious and could point toward a GTA reveal. Financial reports have suggested that GTA 6 could be releasing in 2024 so it makes sense for Rockstar to start teasing the game soon and finally make an official announcement. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with this and what if the message really is tied to GTA VI’s reveal.

In an exclusive WhatIfGaming article, Tez2 stated: “Rockstar’s next grand idea for music? “As per a reliable source, Rockstar will let players come up with their own mixes and beats in Grand Theft Auto Online.” GTA Online radio update coming soon, says leak The report cites a move from Take-Two in October 2020, when the publisher decided to register a domain by the name of ‘rapponator.com’ and drew comparisons to the 2009 platform, Beaterator, which allowed players to make their own loops. Music stars have been featuring more and more in recent major updates for GTA Online, with the likes of Dr. Dre and DJ Pooh appearing in the Cayo Perico heist. Tez2 claims that a number of clues were found in the code of the Criminal Enterprises update, hinting toward functions for DJ tracks. They also said: “Within the game files of the Contract update, Dr. Dre’s VIP Contract is referred to as the first VIP Contract, suggesting a second VIP Contract may arrive in the future.” This information has not yet been confirmed by Rockstar Games and – as is the case with any leak – should be taken with a pinch of salt until things are unwrapped officially. That said, not many GTA sources have the reputation of Tez2, so watch this space.

So in applying the same logic to another song in the Race and Chase arcade game, could we possibly have our first real tease of the GTA 6 theme? It certainly seems possible. By selecting the ‘Vice Lights’ level, one clearly paying homage to Vice City, a location we’re seemingly set to revisit in the next GTA game, we can hear a new theme. By slowing it down to 0.75x speed once again, many are convinced it’s our first listen of the upcoming GTA 6 theme song. “Very good observation,” one player responded. “Holy crap, this is pretty smart thinking,” another chimed in. “Seriously, if that’s the theme, it sounds great. This new feature has annoyed non-subscribers as they believe the abilities – especially claiming business earnings – should be available for everyone. “Since day 1 there were already concerns GTA+ would start locking out genuinely good features from non-subscribing players. The car dealership and s*it was already stretching it, but now including a QoL update behind a f**king paywall? That’s genuinely sad and makes me a lot more concerned over GTA 6 Online,” said one. “Man, they’re gonna have a field day locking s*it up behind GTA+ on VI Online,” another said. “Why are they locking key features to the game behind a subscription paywall. However, some players believe that Rockstar has been using GTA Online to tease an announcement for GTA 6 – both in their new missions and their changes to the economy. The theory was brought up by Reddit user James_Torelli, who suggested that the developers are pumping money into GTA Online so that players can bridge the economic gap. In their post, the Redditor pointed to the increased amount of log-in bonuses over the last few weeks helping players rack up some serious cash. James_Torelli suggested that as players get more money and buy the most expensive items in-game, “there will be no more grind or sense of progression,” and the game will merely become a “glorified sandbox.” That, they believe, will turn players away and leave accounts that have millions stored up going unused – especially as Rockstar begins their marketing for GTA 6 and the next-gen version of GTA Online. The GTA version doesn’t look quite as vibrant as its original counterpart, but it does retain the same level of challenge according to the people who have already played it. That does leave the door wide open for creatives to make things more exciting, and two platers have certainly done that. GTA Online cosplay trend starting up? On December 7, a member of the GTA Online subreddit – user nderestimatedPower – showed off a snap of their latest creations. While crossovers with Nintendo characters might well be on the back of players’ wish lists this year, two players have created their version of a Super Mario crossover using cosplay. As seen in the screenshot below, using simple colored hats, a fresh paint job on a scooter, and some one-piece suits they managed to replicate Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi – well, sort of. The post has attracted thousands of upvotes since being put on the social media platform, not to mention the hundreds of comments replying to the idea. One said: “Brilliant photo! All you had to do was follow the damn kart Racing around the new LS Car Meet, Tokyo Drift style, the footage from “GurpyColors” also includes their own version of the beloved Italian plumber himself. It is no surprise players continue to innovate within Rockstar’s now eight-year-old smash hit. With the tools of the Rockstar Editor, a few handy mods here, and some hours aside there, the limit of what can be achieved has yet to be found. The Mario Kart series celebrated its 35th anniversary earlier this year. Concluding with the release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury in February, love for the chaotic racing series has not dwindled over the years. Passion to remake other industry-defining titles has kept other avid players busy too. Metal Gear franchise fan Punished Twinkie Snake ambitiously sought to recreate Hideo Kojima’s saga in-game. Spanning across 18 minutes, the short film places viewers back inside some of the franchise’s most memorable moments. With a dash of GTA charm of course. The Los Santo Tuners update brought a plethora of desirable vehicles, cosmetics and events to the world of GTA Online. Not only is this DLC a huge win for the community, but a refreshing injection of well-received additions to this ongoing multiplayer mammoth. Rockstar Games has added a number of new businesses to GTA Online over the past few years, but the Salvage Yard has gotten the most love – both from the developers and players who decide to get involved. Added in the Chop Shop Update, the Salvage Yard allows players to steal cars and scrap them for good money – but there is also the chance to get top-tier vehicles for a low price every so often. However, the business has undergone a bit of a nerf in the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, as Rockstar has now added a short cooldown between Tow Truck jobs, which has created a fair bit of annoyance for fans. “Salvage yard nerf is the dumbest R* decision in a long time,” said Redditor Demzz, who also added: “This so unbelievably petty and unnecessary.” Other players quickly jumped on board with that take. “Rockstar never fails to surprise me with its decisions,” said one. “I am not doing towing anymore because of this change, they ruined that part of the business completely. It’s so bad and annoying to do now,” another added. Some players noted that Rockstar had decided to tackle this before other lingering issues, including problems with the auto shop and ammunition disappearing every time you log in. The Grand Theft Auto devs have pushed out a fix for the latter issue, but some players have continued reporting that they’re losing thousands whenever they hop online. So, they may have to give that another look. As for the Salvage Yard issue, they’re unlikely to revert the nerf unless players totally abandon it, and that probably isn’t going to happen. If you’ve played GTA Online at any point over the last decade you’ll know that there are plenty of different playstyles in the game. You’ve got grinders who try to make money, trolls who try to ruin the experience, bystanders who just want to have fun, and a few others. Over the years, Rockstar has made it easier for players to avoid those playstyles that don’t match their own – be it because they don’t want any disruption or they just want a whole lobby of players working on one goal. Well, that’s all fine and dandy, but if you throw hackers into the mix – yes, hackers still exist in GTA Online – problems will arise. GTA Online players hit with 3-year punishment because of hackers It’s something GTA Online fans have been complaining about recently, as hackers on PC have been getting players hit with 3-year-long Bad Sport punishments for boosting their account levels and Rockstar doesn’t seem to be doing much about it. Redditor AyeeFranklin flagged the issue on January 15, claiming they’d been given the punishment for no reason, and Rockstar flat out denied their appeal to have it overturned. “Met a couple of people in the Bad Sport lobby who was also affected by this exploit,” they said. “I took the issue to Rockstar Support, but was ultimately declined.” Others noted that it has happened to them as well, with their appeals also being turned down. “Absolutely pathetic from an absolutely pathetic company to keep f*cking the players over,” said one. “Classic L*, not their problem because it won’t make them money,” added another. The Bad Sport lobbies are full of players who are deemed to not play the game in the right way, and lose out on bonuses like money as a result. It’s not a death sentence, but it’s a pretty big punishment. We’ll have to wait and see if Rockstar starts clamping down on the hackers that appear to be causing the headaches.

Even though GTA Online is over a decade old at this point and there is plenty of focus on GTA 6, Rockstar Games has continued to update the multiplayer side of GTA 5 with new jobs, vehicles, businesses, and a whole host of other features. There are typically two big updates each year, one in the winter and another in the summer. One of the most popular updates in recent memory had been the Los Santos Tuners, which added the Los Santos Car Meet and Auto Shops – both of which still play big roles in GTA Online. The Auto Shop, however, has created a few issues in recent weeks because of a glitch with targeting that affected players around the businesses. GTA Online players furious over Auto Shop resets That led to another bug where players would see their Auto Shops being reset, causing them to go through the whole setup process again before returning to their previous state. This has annoyed many players because of how they use the Auto Shop for their own personal vehicles. “All of my favorite cars are in the Auto Shop I now cannot access. One bullsh*t thing after another,” vented one player. “I love that they still haven’t fixed the controller bug but manage to break the game even more with each update,” another added. “They’re sooooo busy patching harmless merge glitches they’re breaking the game sooner or later. They’re gonna end up crashing servers,” another said. While Rockstar has pushed out a hotfix to stop the Auto Shop from resetting by reverting the change, some players have still been encountering it. “This is such a trainwreck. 4th time doing the setup mission now and I’m done. Never doing it again,” another annoyed player added. “Hopefully mine gets fixed someday,” commented another.

It’s hard for some fans to comprehend, but GTA V and GTA Online were first released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – a whole generation before Xbox One and PlayStation 4 even hit the scene. Given that GTA Online is over a decade old at this point, there have been a raft of quality-of-life changes to keep it looking fresh. Those old Xbox 360 and PS3 servers are long gone and Rockstar have removed hundreds of vehicles from the game too – much to the annoyance of some players. With the 2023 winter update just around the corner, they’ve also confirmed that there will be another set of QOL changes, including the reintroduction of wildlife roaming around. However, those changes won’t make it across to the PC version. GTA Online PC fans annoyed they’re being ignored in winter update That news has got plenty of PC players up in arms, with many annoyed that Rockstar has “shelved” that side of things and allowed it to become “dead” over the last few years. “Ah yes, another current-gen exclusive update. The PC is dead (past gen) according to rockstar execs,” said one annoyed fan. “PC players should be the epitome of Next gen but that’s motherf**kin Rockstar for you,” another added. “Yet on the PC, the most capable platform, expanded and enhanced has yet to be released. What a joke, the only platform capable of properly displaying the game at 150+ mph speeds isn’t allowed the update,” commented another fan. Other players pointed out that the PC version of GTA Online has still yet to receive things like Hao’s Special Works, increased speed in cars, and also older cars. “They just really hate PC players,” concluded another player.

Even though it’s been a decade since Grand Theft Auto Online first released, GTA fans are still grinding away with different businesses, heists, and other side hustles to build up their bank balances. Many players are still multi-billionaires, benefiting from playing the game early on and making money from heists before they underwent so many changes. However, even the biggest money-makers in GTA are still looking for ways to boost their cash reserves – especially as new vehicles keep being released. Outside of heists, one of the most popular ways to make cash has been through selling cars. Cars previously sold for around 60% of their value, making it possible to grind out sales, leading to some players taking advantage of that with duplication glitches. GTA Online players frustrated with daily vehicle sell changes These players would duplicate the same car, tricking the game into thinking they were selling multiple versions of a vehicle they owned. So, Rockstar moved to implement a change, adding a daily cooldown and a cut in price for each car sold. However, players aren’t pleased. “Lol, they have pretty much instituted a one-per-day sell limit to everyone. The 10th years anniversary keeps on giving. What’s next?” one annoyed fan said. “Wow what a load of s*it,” another added. “Once again. Rockstar f*cking everyone over because they don’t want to fix their game,” commented another. Some players urged the devs to rethink things and actually ban anyone who abuses such glitches. “So you don’t get banned after selling X amount of vehicles, just amount of money is decreased. Abusers will now just grind multiplied vehicles without any risk,” one added. It’s unlikely that Rockstar will revert the daily sell limit change, given that it has only just been introduced. So, annoyed players will remain frustrated for a while.

That winter update – known as the Chop Shop update – was finally released on December 12, bringing in the Salvage Yard business, a new weapon in the form of the Battle Rifle, the ability to see animals roaming Los Santos, and, of course, a whole host of new cars. In that crop of new vehicles are three police cars – two cruisers and a riot van – with several others to be released as a part of the drip-feed process too. While fans were initially pumped about pretending to be a cop in GTA Online, things have taken a bit of a turn. GTA Online players blast price of Police cars in Chop Shop update That’s right, a number of players have hit out at Rockstar over the new cars, with one of the main complaints being that they are simply too expensive for what they offer. “Seeing the price of police vehicles, it seems like Rockstar wanted to play a prank on us ahead of April Fool’s Day. Rockstar has sent out a security patch aimed at addressing the issues, but it doesn’t appear to have worked all that well. GTA Online still flooded with “outrageous” hacks despite security patch A number of GTA Online players have taken to social media as they’re still furious with the state of the game on PC, as mod menus have caused a number of headaches. In some cases, as shown by Redditor NickyFlippers, hackers have been able to lock players in a cage on the beach and prevent them from doing anything else. “When will these clowns fix this game?” asked one player. “This is f*cking outrageous,” added another. “10 years and more for a game not yet fully stable and secured, well never mind there are lots of factors might be causing all this.” Some players have resorted to sticking to invite-only sessions, seeing as they are “immensely safer” than public games. Though, that does mean you miss out on cash bonuses if you only have a few players in the lobby. It remains to be seen if Rockstar will be able to fully root out these issues or if they’ll persist. Two of the most recent updates, the Los Santos Mercenaries and Los Santos Drug Wars, brought a whole host of new vehicles to the game. However, it also came at a pretty big cost as well. Back in early June, Rockstar removed 195 cars from in-game dealerships to make room for quality-of-life fixes, updates, and new cars. And while they were old cars, it meant new players could no longer get their hands on them. Naturally, fans of the game were furious, seeing as the ones Rockstar added didn’t even come close to making up the numbers. GTA Online players still not happy over vehicle removals A subsequent glitch with car insurance meant players lost a wide range of cars after being deleted, prompting many to call the game “unplayable” and walk away for a while. That issue has seen been addressed by Rockstar and plenty of players have gotten reimbursed for what they lost, but many are still staying away. “R* has done a lot of dumb and greedy s*it to GTA Online, but to me somehow this is the worst, and since that update I really do not wish to play the game even though the new content looks pretty interesting,” said Redditor AwsomEmils. That prompted a number of similar responses. “To me it just showed Rockstar’s general lack of interest in their own player base once again,” replied one. “I haven’t played in weeks, been playing other stuff,” added another. “I haven’t played it since. We’ve seen that previously when the Criminal Enterprises update made things “unplayable” as cars just imploded at random or streets wouldn’t load. Similar problems have occurred following the Bottom Dollar Bounties update as NPCs and vehicles have gotten wilder than ever. As Redditor I_suck_a_lot showcased, they had an issue when, after landing their Deluxo and stepping into a target vehicle, their car was tossed up into the air and turned into a fully stocked FIB SUV. Those officers then gunned the player to death, ruining their mission. “I’ve seen a lot of bull crap in my 10 years of playing GTA, and I have never once witnessed anything like this,” one player said. “Something is really bugged out in that vehicle after the recent update. I finished a security contract in that and suddenly it blew up when I reached the destination,” another added. The issues are a little wider spread too, as other players complained about NPCs chasing them down and appearing at random. “Dude was running around the backyard on the roof by all the square roof hatches in my game yesterday. This game is broken,” one added. “Since the update, weird s*it has been happening!” another commented. “I encounter something new every session. They are usually amusing at least, except the psycho NPCs in cars. That sucks. As you can see in the Reddit clip uploaded by user viscouslance, it’s a far cry from the intense racing you may have come to expect from Grand Theft Auto. With each player driving at a pace that is likely miles below the speed limit, it’s more akin to watching turtle races than the latest Fast and Furious movie. Hilariously though, right as the “race” began to get a bit interesting with both players neck-and-neck, the red car smashed into oncoming traffic resulting in a multi-car collision. Even without tires and a relatively low speed, the red car started flying, spinning and doing barrel rolls like it was a Star Fox game. At this point the video ended, but viscouslance did provide some additional details on what happened during the rest of the race. “We did probably 3 quarters I’d say from where we started to the facility at the top left corner of the map,” they explained. The tireless adventures aren’t stopping at just cars either. As the user noted, they plan on trying races with tireless buses and eventually motorcycles. As for why the two players decided to race without tires, it just comes down to keeping GTA feel fresh all these years later. “We do stuff like this all the time to keep our interest in the game. It’s sorta why I’ve been playing for all these years,” they said. GTA Online players baffled by rare car issue some have never seen It was Redditor mmzkn who flagged the issue on November 13, showing off a video of them driving multiple cars around Los Santos, with this “force field” on full display. Strangely enough, this field looks akin to the circles that are placed on the ground to signal the start of a job or race. However, there is no such fun to be had here. The Redditor labeled it as “stupid,” noting it ruins the look of their car, and urged the devs to fix it. On top of that, it’s an issue many others claim they’ve never seen in ten years of playing. “3000 hours and ten years and I have never seen this either,” said one. “I’ve never seen that holy s*it that’s wild lol,” another added. “No one has ever seen this. Please explain yourself,” commented another. Some claimed they’d seen it while playing on PC and it’s an issue that affects low-suspension cars and a select set of motorcycles. “Yeah, some cars got it worse than others. On PC, you can just press the M key on the keyboard and begin scrolling through. On consoles though, it’s different. Xbox users have to press the view button, while on PlayStation users can simply press the Touchpad to access the menu. It can feel clunky at the best of times to press a button just to bring up menus in addition to then scrolling through categories and individual items. That’s why Reddit user, Hyper_Blade 123 suggested an alternative on the GTA Online subreddit: an item wheel like what’s used in Red Dead Redemption 2. GTA Online already has a wheel feature of its own for weapons, but this doesn’t include access to clothing, outfits, food, or drinks, like it does in Red Dead. The idea’s proven popular on Reddit, with plenty of players expressing their distaste for the current, “clunky” system that’s been in use for over half a decade. “For a AAA megagame, GTA V has an extraordinarily clunky interface, has to be said,” said one. “The fact you have to use f**king page up during Cayo Perico heist is so incredibly idiotic. No other key is even used could have just as well been E. Some people don’t even have page up on their keyboards,” another added. One eagle-eyed user, however, saw a car for sale in Windsor, Ontario, Canada that caught their eye and required a double take, because the graphics seemed eerily familiar. For sale was a white 2010 Dodge Charger with a whopping 130,654 kilometers on it, or 81,184 miles. The asking price? $1,500. Amusingly, the car was just a screenshot from Grand Theft Auto 5, and it’s unclear if there even was a real car for sale or if this was a joke. It was also not clear if the in-game car even belonged to the seller or if he stole it in an act of grand theft auto. Of course, the absolute worst-case scenario would be if this was a scam, but nothing in the ad posted to Reddit by ‘Educational_Cause802’ implied the seller was asking for money sent their way before delivering the car. Other players on Reddit got in on the action and started asking the poster to inquire more about the car. “Ask if it has a LS customs work,” replied one gamer. “Ask him how many lock-on missiles it can take,” another chimed in. Just the idea of someone trying to pass on an in-game vehicle as an actual car is pretty amusing, but to actually for it is something else entirely. Still, if this was a real price on an actual car, a lot of people would go crazy over the chance to nab it for so cheap.

It’s not for the faint-hearted and is much harder to use than it’s successor, the Oppressor MK2. But that hasn’t stopped TheFirstRaccount from mastering its mechanics and using it to push the envelope in GTA Online. He’s performed many gravity-defying stuns throughout the years and posted them all on social media. However, it’s hard to find one more impressive than his latest one, which he called ‘The Oppress Way.’ In the video, he starts off airborne and drops back down to pick up a quick boost of speed. Then, he wriggles around in the air, turns himself upside down, and uses the booster on the back of the motorcycle to stay in the air. He navigates through a maze of freeways and underpasses without touching the ground again and even manages to avoid bumping into any walls and objects. Eventually, he finds himself on the outskirts and is free to explore the countryside. It isn’t the first insane stunt in GTA Online, and it won’t be the last. But there’s no denying it’s an impressive one. After all, there’s a reason why the thread has generated almost 13,000 upvotes at the time of writing. Some people pointed out that they’re more impressed with TheFirstRaccount’s bank account, which he claimed is upwards of $687,263,947. Still, money and game-time aside, there’s no denying he is incredibly good at what he does and deserves all the praise.

The Atomizer, frankly, looks like something from another world, or potentially another game such as Destroy All Humans. It’s a Republican Space Ranger Special and when quipped, those using it will be well equipped for any galactic wars that come in the future. As you can probably tell by now, the gun is something of a luxury, if not a completely novelty. It’s also crazy to think that it costs almost the same – if not more – than many really good vehicles or properties in GTA Online. Based on that, you might think it’s fair to say only one of Los Santos’ most bubbleheaded players would be interested in such a thing, although one user has showcased a really useful way of using its rounds – which might make it worth the hefty price tag. Reddit user Remology posted a clip to the GTA subreddit on March 15, which showed that they had got their car into a sticky situation. It was stuck between a highway barrier and a hill, with the driver unable to steer it back onto the road. So, using just the futuristic blaster, they got the job done a much easier way. The weapon’s blast is so strong that it can completely move vehicles, to a point, meaning that the player was able to flip this car back onto the road and potentially saved a lot of time in doing so, too. There’s nothing worse than being stuck, especially during a mission or heist, so this tip could really come in handy. As mentioned, the benefits of this trick do come at a significant cost, with the Up-n-Atomizer being one of the most expensive guns on the game. It’s not the only futuristic style weapon of its kind, though, as the Unholy Hellbringer is another option for those who want something like a traditional sci-fi blaster. This one will set you back $449,000, but with a free pot of $1 million up for grabs in GTA during the month of March, there’s no reason why you can’t add both to your arsenal. Clearly, the Atomizer is much more useful than many might think.

Dropping a stack of cash on a new property is a big milestone in GTA: Online. You get a new place to store vehicles and a hideout in a new area of the map. One of the more expensive properties is the military base hangar, located at Fort Zancudo. Once you pay the $3,250,000 to grab it, you’re able to store up to 20 personal aircraft. This all sounds well and good, until you try to taxi to the runway and run headlong into the brilliant base security NPCs. This is exactly what happened to Reddit user u/Ronnymalony as they tried to take one of their jets out for a spin. As soon as they hit the tarmac, the base MPs bum rushed them out of nowhere. The lead car of the patrol hits the jet first, causing a two-star wanted level to appear, followed quickly by the second jeep. The cherry on top has to be the third car though, which smashes into the other two causing the whole pileup to explode in a fireball. Hopefully Ronny had insurance on the plane, so it wasn’t a total loss, but this clip does show one of the major downsides to using the Fort Zancudo hangar. Those patrols are always circling around, and there’s no way to tell when they’ll be coming while you’re in the hangar. What got them seems to be them repositioning their jet, if they had just gone for it and gotten out of the way, the pileup might not have happened at all. This isn’t to say that the $3 million+ price tag isn’t worth it if you need more room to store aircraft, but we’d highly recommend looking both ways as soon as you get out of the hangar, to avoid the wrath of these aggressive and suicidal NPCs.

While there’s plenty of time to save up and collect the ZR350, along with the other assortment of cars on the way, Reddit user ‘Nisaja’ wasted no time in fixing his up to look like his real life ride. “So happy the RX7 is finally in GTA Online! Made it look exactly like mine. Clean,” Nisaja said, with a pretty convincing side-by-side image of his Online character and IRL portrait. The GTA Online community were fairly impressed with the post getting over 18,000 upvotes and plenty of love from different players. “I had to stare at this for longer than I’m ready to admit before I realised which one was GTA and which one was RL,” one user joked. “Bro, that’s a real pic at the bottom ? I cannot tell the difference… ” another person said. Nisaja explained how he had to rebuild his car from being a ‘non-starter’ to get it to run, which is apart from acquiring and customizing the ZR350 that typically goes for $1,211,250 – $1,615,000 in-game. How to get in UFOs – GTA Online Having seen the vehicles floating around the map since October, they’ve been taking over during the Halloween event. On December 5, a Reddit user posted about their experience inside a UFO on the GTA Online subreddit page. They said: “I was playing GTA Online on PS3 and I was teleported to an underwater UFO. I drowned, respawned in Paleto Bay and now I’m stuck inside a UFO.” As seen in the short clip above, there is no way to actually get behind the wheel and control the vehicle. Though, the player is given a van inside the UFO to drive around inside, which isn’t very useful. Some had claimed that the glitch has only been found on previous-gen servers. One player joked: “This is why they’re shutting down the old gen servers.” Another said: “This happens on pc servers too. Hacks and cheaters will always exist no matter what or when you see this.” A user added: “Enjoy it. This will be one of the last remaining footage of classic GTA Online before the servers shut down.” Whether or not this is affecting current-gen consoles – PS5 and Xbox Series X|S – is unknown. As we’ve seen, some players will use things like the Mobile Operations Centre truck cab and Nightshark to eat up missiles from Oppressor trolls, forcing them to go away and pick on another target. Others fight back, using explosive snipers and Hydra jet planes to fire missiles at them too, but now, the Toreador can join the fight – and one player used in an incredibly impressive fashion. The highlight comes from Reddit user NinjaDragon177, who was using their Toreador in a fight against an Oppressor troll when they became boxed in against a wall. Even though the Oppressor player still had the height, and could have easily spammed missiles, they didn’t. That gave the Redditor a chance to turn the tables and deal with their foe. NinjaDragon177 quickly ramped off a pile of dirt and flipped upside down. While floating in midair, seemingly waiting for the Oppressor to shoot, the Redditor hit the launch on their own missiles – eliminating the Oppressor and landing their Toreador back to the ground in style. With their highlight quickly gaining traction, the Redditor received plenty of praise for their impressive kill. Though, some others had an idea for Rockstar. “There should be an option, where you can choose a session without mk2. They ruined gta online experience for good!” said one commenter. Redditor ProdigySK took to the site to post a clip of their Street Race video under the caption “How is this a world record?” After gaining an insurmountable lead over their opponent, ProdigySK passed the finish line and noted they recorded a best lap of 01:13:323. Following this, a screen popped up stating “you set a world record.” As impressive as they may have been, the reward left a lot to be desired. In total, just $6,230 in-game dollars were added to their account, which seems like a fraction of what a world record performance actually deserves. In the comments, some users agreed that a record race should earn players more like $1,000,000, while others argued that it wasn’t a record to begin with. “Heard another dude say he got WR as well. It’s a bug. I’ve got 1:11 on this track so it definitely isn’t WR. Props on the clean driving though. Very satisfying watch,” one commented. According to ProdigySK, this is the case. “I just did a 1:08.512 with an upgraded calico and it said world record again so it’s 100% bugged,” they added. GTA Online player roasted for spending habits after going broke “I’ve hit GTA rock bottom,” wrote Redditor CausticPenguino in a caption accompanied by a gameplay clip. The video shows the GTA Online user stopping their car in front of a prostitute. Because they have no in-game money on hand, the game prompts them to visit the Microsoft Store. In so doing, the player purchases a $250,000 Shark Card for $5, which comes with an extra $37,500 since they’re a GTA+ member. As soon as the roughly $280,000 hits their account, CausticPenguino proceeds to call for the prostitute again until the game issue a reminder stating they must first access cash via an ATM. As one would expect, Reddit roasted the GTA Online player without mercy. “Man was down horrendous,” one user said in jest. Another person commented on the Redditor’s choice of a station wagon-like vehicle: “The car says it all.” Some couldn’t ignore a chance to poke fun at the GTA+ subscription, either. “Thought it couldn’t get any worse, and then I noticed the GTA+ Subscription. Others are having some fun with the process, though. Reddit user Captain_D1ckhead also issued a report to Rockstar Support about the Scramjet vanishing from their GTA Online garage. Since the support ticket required an image, the Redditor uploaded an edited screenshot of a red Scramjet outline sitting in an empty garage space. The Grand Theft Auto Online subreddit is having a laugh, of course. In the hours since the Redditor shared the screenshot, the post has received more than 18,800 upvotes. In addition to jokes about the report’s cleverness, a host of players have chimed in to note that their supersonic sports car went missing following the update, too. At the very least, it seems as though Rockstar Support has managed to resolve the issue quickly. And others, such as dimgray, claim their rides reappeared in the “first alphabetically available garage slots” within 24 hours of the Scramjet’s absence.

While a typical bike may not seem that appealing, Oppressors have a built-in rocket booster that can lead to some insane in-game antics, and one dedicated player was able to fly from the famous Vinewood sign all the way to Maze Bank Tower using just an Oppressor MK1 (and a bit of luck). In a post on Reddit, the player shared that they “finally managed to go from the Vinewood sign to the Maze Bank Tower without touching down once,” and provided the appropriate video evidence to prove it. In the clip, the player can be seen launching themselves off the Vinewood sign’s hill. They then used the Oppressor’s rocket boost to keep flying through the air until reaching the helipad on top of Maze Tower, where they finally came to a stop. One player made it their mission to recreate the cast from a particularly popular Pixar film involving automobiles. Cars in GTA Online Cars is one of Pixar’s most popular franchises, and one Reddit user by the name ‘sw1nky’ decided to recreate the entire cast in their garage. The collection, of course, starts with the main character Lightning McQueen, whose design they nail by getting the shiny red paint and a yellow accent similar to the racecar’s famous lightning stripe on the side. They’ve also nailed a few other characters like Mater, Chick Hicks, Sally Carrera, and Doc Hudson. Chick, a villain from the Cars franchise, even has their car-mustache spot on with the big black front grill along with race car stickers riding the sides of the vehicle. Mater, who can be seen in the back left on the collection, is a fantastic recreation making the old tow-truck feel really rustic compared to the others in the line. The collection is quite impressive, and sw1nky took to the comment section to share that they are now working on another set for the sequel, Cars 2, which explains the absence of Finn McMissile.

Although there’s a long list of cars, planes, and boats to choose from, there’s one flying vehicle that everybody wants to own: the Oppressor MK2. With the default price of the Oppressor being over $3.8 million, not everyone who plays the title has enough money to purchase one of their own. So, it’s a lot easier to steal someone else’s while they’re AFK or busy. That’s exactly what one griefer attempted to do to ThatOneWeirdo66. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aware that the whole scenario was a planned-out trap. GTA Online player lays the perfect trap for griefer A thread posted to the GTA Online subreddit showing a player pranking an Oppressor MK2 griefer has garnered over 11,000 upvotes. Looking to set up a trap, ThatOneWeirdo66 parked up his Oppressor in a car park and covered it in petrol. He then decided to pretend to be AFK next to his expensive vehicle in the hopes that a griefer would appear and try to steal it. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for another player to appear and look to escape with his car. However, as the Oppressor was covered in petrol, it quickly caught on fire causing the griefer to panic. Not knowing what to do, the burning player turned the vehicle around and crashed directly into ThatOneWeirdo66, making for an absolutely hilarious clip. It’s fair to say ThatOneWeirdo66’s trap was successful in luring in a griefer. However, the criminal certainly went out in style and refused to die without getting his own back. GTA Online player confused by in-game reward worth millions Reddit user Mirimicus recently posted a screenshot that showed Rockstar awarded them for “being a dedicated GTA Online player.” The reward totals a shocking $2.3 million of in-game cash. In sharing the news, the Redditor asked fellow players if anyone knew why they were suddenly receiving so much “free money.” Comments from equally baffled fans fill the thread. One person suggested it may relate to the player completing a Heist Finale under certain circumstances. But the original poster said they already received the bonus for the Heist event hosted in November. Another Redditor suggested the gift worth millions may be owed to the GTA Online’s recent Shark Card adjustments. According to the commenter, buying Shark Cards now increases their value; thus, “if you recently bought Shark Cards [Rockstar donates] the extra money you would have gotten.” Whether or not these changes apply to the award money referenced above remains unclear. The Halloween season means spooky events all across the gaming industry, and Rockstar is making sure their fans don’t feel left out by hosting a mysterious Halloween Surprise event in GTA Online. The developer first teased the event with a cryptic message on Twitter, which was soon followed by actual UFO appearances. Fans were shocked after a mysterious flying saucer began to appear over various POIs in Los Santos. As if the sudden appearance of this alien vehicle wasn’t unsettling enough, one GTAO player uncovered an even more sinister teaser after taking matters into their own hands and trying to shoot down the UFO with the game’s deadly Orbital Cannon. The player in question shared their unsettling discovery on Reddit in the form of a short clip, and explained that “I tried to Orbital Cannon the UFO and this happened.” In the video, they can be seen targeting the alien invader with the cannon — one of GTAO‘s deadliest weapons, which insta-kills players when hitting them (outside of a few rare exceptions). If any weapon could take down the UFO, it would probably be this one. Despite landing a clean hit, the player’s efforts seemed to be in vain, as the vehicle ended up surviving the deadly blast without so much as a single scratch. The worst was still to come, however. After exiting the cannon’s targeting screen, a countdown timer appeared, which seemed to indicate that someone (or something) was firing back. As the timer reached zero, the command center shook and debris could be heard raining down — the UFO had returned fire! Other players were amazed by the shocking turn of events. “I genuinely thought the UFO was about to Obliterate you in retaliation,” one comment read. “Did the UFO take over your Orbital Cannon and shoot at your facility?” a second layer asked, before remarking “What the f**k dude!” Fans also speculated that this could be a hint of what Rockstar has in store for the full GTA Online Halloween event. “We are in trouble,” read another comment. Some of Los Santos’ residents will just run out into the road, attack you for looking at them for longer than a few seconds, or start running wildly if you happen to see them conducting a shady deal down a dark alleyway. However, in the case of the Diamond Casino’s racing track, some players have discovered something completely different, as the game has allowed some select residents to start driving around in circles. Typically, when it comes to the Casino’s dirt racing track, it’s empty and looking like it needs a few horses to be racing around it. Yet, as Reddit user FS1120 pointed out, some of the NPCs might just start driving around it as they wish. Why? Well, the Redditor didn’t really have an explanation. Just that, as they were doing a Sightseer mission, they noticed it – and it was such a shock, given they’ve never seen it before. Other players were also taken back by the discovery, given how completely random it is. However, one fan might have cracked the code. Reddit user Appletree_Music asked: “Wonder if the mission enabled that area for traffic because it’s going two ways at traffic speeds? Definitely a first.” Other players noted that it isn’t just limited to the Casino, either. Redditor adwyv pointed out that they’d also seen traffic driving around the Pier in a similar fashion. Either way, the next time you drop into Los Santos, keep an eye out for random traffic. It could lead to a hilarious moment of discovery.

GTA Online player ends a mission in a smooth fashion Missions are one of GTA’s staples, be it in story mode or online, missions have been part of the game’s franchise since its inception back in 1997. Although a bit of a difference between story mode and online, they are still important to a player’s progression. For GTA V, there are various ways to begin missions, be it through your phone where you receive a text and accept what you’ve been tasked to do, or by walking into an area that automatically starts it for you. At the end of the day, they all get turned in similarly – by walking into an upright yellow pillar. Well in a post by Reddit user henrypecha on the official GTA Online subreddit, the Redditor took walking into an upright yellow pillar to new heights after he accidentally had the smoothest landing ever. In a clip, you can see that they were on their way to end their mission. While riding on a flying motorcycle, the player decided to take an early exit, seemingly wanting to speed up the process but what ensued was their character hitting a garage door, and while in the process of trying to maintain balance, they back-walked their way into the renown upright yellow pillar. GTA Online players never cease to amaze with their creativity, even if it’s unintentional.

Halloween is just around the corner, and Rockstar always takes the holiday season seriously in GTA V. One of the events this year rewards a Ghostbusters-esque livery for the Albany Brigham vehicle and $250k for completing the spooky Ghosts Exposed collectible hunt. The Ghost Hunting event is pretty similar to previous scavenger hunts, such as the UFO event last Halloween, in which players took daily photographs of UFO sightings. For this rendition, players had to photograph nine different ghosts in the northern part of Los Santos. But each ghost only stayed around for an hour of in-game time. After photographing the first nine, users complete the task by photographing the ghost of Johnny Klebitz in the exact spot where Trevor murdered him in the campaign. Instead of just taking a regular photo, one community member went out of their way to give the biker a touching send-off. GTA Online community pays tribute to Johnny Klebitz Even after 10 years, some GTA Online community members aren’t ready to forgive Trevor for what he did to Johnny Klebitz. As longtime series veterans know, Klebitz first appeared in The Ballad of Gay Tony before going on to serve as The Lost and Damned’s protagonist. The motorcycle outlaw club vice president returned as a minor character in GTA V. Klebitz rebuilt most of his gang’s former manpower in Blaine County and formed a business relationship with Trevor. However, the honeymoon period didn’t last long. Klebitz’s girlfriend cheated on him with Trevor, and an altercation resulted in Trevor murdering the biker. A GTA Online Player posted a tribute video wearing a biker jacket from Klebitz’s gang and put a bike under the ghost so that he could have one final ride. Community members sounded off in the comment section over his loss. One player argued: “Call me petty, but this is why I personally resent Trevor. Yes, I know he’s a lot of people’s favorite protagonist, and I respect that, I just see things differently than others.” A second user added: “It always annoyed me how dirty they did Johnny. It felt like a complete disrespect for the character.” Some players even took matters into their own hands and enacted revenge: “I killed Trevor in the end in retaliation for Johnny. GTA Online player gets hacked with never-ending phone calls and it’s torture Rockstar via u/SentinelWhiteA bizarre hack in Grand Theft Auto Online reportedly makes it so that players are constantly hearing their phone ring in the game, and it’s torturous to play with. There’s plenty of hackers in GTAO that can be really problematic for players. Rockstar have been trying to put a lid on the problem, but more cheaters tend to crop up as soon as they get ban-hammered away. While we’ve seen outright egregious hacks before that basically gave GTAO hackers god-mode exploits to mess with people. While this time it’s not as outright offensive, it’s something much more sinister for long-time GTA players. If there’s one thing GTA players hate, it’s the incessant ringing on the phone that can happen from the many NPCs that always need your attention for some reason. Well YouTuber ‘Gypsy’ recorded his encounter with an apparent GTA hacker who didn’t outwardly bug his game, until he noticed that his in-game phone’s dial tone wouldn’t stop ringing. “It seems that hackers have found a new way to annoy everyone in the lobby,” he said. “I start hearing this dial tone like I’m trying to call [someone.]… But my phone is put away since I’m not trying to call anyone.” The YouTuber found that the ringing wouldn’t stop. In fact, they called Mors and then heard the dial tone of the phone and another dial tone at the same time, which is when he noticed the hack. Gypsy likened the experience to “psychological torture” since the ringing even followed him in the GTA V campaign and even the cutscenes. Luckily, however, restarting the game seemed to do the trick. While this isn’t game-breaking by any means, the hack is just another way GTAO cheaters are finding to mess with both players and Rockstar. The studio has resorted to shutting down entire hacking sites for GTA, but it’s still an ongoing war against cheaters. If you come across this particular GTA Online hack, then take off your headset and restart the game unless you want to go crazy hearing ringing every few minutes.

And that requires a trip to Los Santos customs. There are plenty of customization options to get at Los Santos Customs, and you’ll always hear a chipper voice from one of the mechanics egging you on to buy something. The armor didn’t stop the missile at all, so, the Redditor did what they saw fit. Instead of lodging a complaint or taking it up with Mors Mutual to get their car back, they just gunned down the mechanic instead. Now, the mechanic did only drop a warning that it “might” stop a rocket, but at the end of the day, it is their job to get you to buy more upgrades than you might need for your car. Either way though, it made for a hilarious moment for GTA fans and it might be something other players copy if Los Santos Customs continue their ‘scamming’ ways.

While delivery money might not be on the same scale as a heist, this little trick will help players get the most out of their time. Genius GTA Online trick to double motorcycle deliver payouts If you’re looking to speed up your cash intake then pick up a motorcycle delivery mission and set out to find a Bobcat XL. Once you’ve got your truck, go and hunt down two versions of the bike that you need to turn in and line them up together on an elevated surface. After that, back the Bobcat up to where they’re sitting and let the tailgate down. You’ll need to finesse a little bit, but both bikes will fit next to each other if done correctly. It might seem precarious at first but with some careful driving you can drop off both vehicles without severe damage and effectively half the time you would have otherwise spent finishing the mission. This kind of trick used to work with the Cargobob back in the day as well, but Rockstar has since patched that ability out of the game. GTA Online fan finds in-game apartment while visiting California YouTuber ConnerTheWaffle went on vacation earlier this year to Santa Monica, California. While visiting the area, the content creator found something interesting – their GTA Online apartment. The resemblance shared between the in-game model (Del Perro Heights) and the real-life building is nearly identical. Rockstar even managed to render the complex’s surrounding area, complete with palm trees, intersections, and crosswalks. ConnerTheWaffle shared side-by-side comparison photos using an in-game screenshot and their appearance in front of the actual building. As many are already well aware, Rockstar Games’ attention to detail evidently knows no bounds. It’ll be interesting, then, to see how that dedication manifests in the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6. Rumors about the new game’s supposed location have circulated for years, with many claiming Rockstar plans to revisit Vice City. Other uncorroborated reports suggest the next open-world adventure may take place across multiple continents. Whatever the case, players may find themselves stumbling across in-game landmarks while exploring the real world several years down the line.

The Pegassi Oppressor MK2 is a custom hoverbike that was introduced to GTA Online as part of the After Hours update back in 2018, and it quickly became a favorite among players thanks to its ability to hover above the ground and fly. It’s also notoriously difficult to go up against, as it features frontal machine guns and homing missile launchers that give it an impressive damage output. Pair this with a high level of maneuverability, and it can be a nightmare to take down. But one player on Reddit has shared the perfect way to defeat the MK2, and it involves a little help from the Avenger plane. The Avenger is a great MK2 counter The Mammoth Avenger is a weaponized plane that was added to GTA Online as part of The Doomsday Heist update in 2017. It can be purchased from Warstock Cache & Carry for $3,450,000. A video shared by Reddit user KB0MB3R shows how the Avenger can withstand multiple homing missile strikes from the MK2 without exploding, and was able to destroy the MK2 by dropping a bomb on it. Some in the comments were “surprised” that the Avenger was able to take the hits, but one player chimed in to say that, in their own experience, the Avenger could take at least 20 homing missiles from the MK2. Unfortunately, KB0MB3R got a ‘lost connection’ alert right after the encounter. But as one commenter pointed out, it might not have been a bad thing, as their Avenger looked like it was about to crash land. “Look for the bright side. The game boot you off before you crash[ed],” they joked. This isn’t the first time a GTA Online player has found a solid vehicle to take on the MK2 Oppressor. It was recently discovered that the MOC Cab – or ‘Mobile Operations Center’ – is actually a lot more fortified than players would believe, and can tank around 70 homing missiles before being destroyed. GTA Online’s vehicles all have a purpose. However, it’s hard to find one more useful than the Pegassi Toreador. In addition to coming equipped with weapons, it lets players toggle between two modes; a standard car mode and a submarine mode. But that’s not even the best feature. The Toreador also comes equipped with a powerful rocket booster that works on land, air, and sea. It’s supposed to propel the vehicle for a second and then take some time to re-charge. That way, it can’t be exploited to the point of becoming a flying vehicle. However, one player managed to use it an infinite amount of times and fly into the stratosphere. It happened after the vehicle seemed to glitch out. A player named NuclearJesusMan shared a video of the incident on Reddit. “I was airborne for like FOUR GODDAMN MINUTES,” he wrote. “According to my stats, that was over two miles long (13,855.49 feet) and 1,464.81 feet high.” “What I think happened is, for some reason, when I boosted up with that submerged rock, the game never registered that I left the water,” he added. “As far as the game knew, I was still submerged, so it kept recharging my boost.” Another player pointed out that the glitch is apparently easy to replicate. He claims it happens when a player leaves the Kosatka submarine in the Toreador in submersible mode and that it’s “pretty well documented.” If that’s true, then what are you waiting for? Aside from fan-favorite activities like street racing, heisting, and hitting up the casino, there is plenty of things to do on the virtual streets of Los Santos in GTA Online. Though, not everyone is out to have a good time. There have been plenty of instances of players hacking with some absurd contraptions, as well as griefing lower-level enemies with some high-powered weapons. Though, sitting in a jet and spraying down other players while in ‘god mode’ might just take the cake as the most infuriating problem about GTA Online right now. Though, Reddit user BigDaddyPapaw might have found a solution for catching these sorts of players off guard and annoy them enough to leave the session. The Grand Theft Auto posted their idea to the GTA Online subreddit where, after explaining that they’d tried to take the opposing player down with the Avenger and their own Jet, they had another idea up their sleeve. They hopped out of an aircraft just above where the hovering jet was sat idle, quickly pulled open a parachute, and grabbed an automatic pistol. From there, BigDaddyPapaw had the ‘god mode’ enemy in their sights, pulled the trigger, and avoided death by finally managing to kill off the griefer. The Redditor noted that the player who was causing all the grief quickly sent them a tonne of “hate mail” but in the end, it was worth it to get them out of the session and being able to play GTA Online normally again. These are members of the community that join games and deliberately provoke others to spoil the fun. In the past, a number of tricks have been discovered to strike them down. Yet, not many tactics can top this one, posted to Reddit on September 14. The user, who goes by the name of Zoroark4President, jumped into their personal vehicle. It was none other than the HVY Insurgent, which costs a whopping $900,000 in-game if you buy it without discounts. GTA Online jet griefer counter The heavy set of wheels might not look like it’s graceful enough to pull off insane jumps, but this player focused more on simplicity than being flashy. As a griefer approached their location, circling the heavily armored car, they snapped left onto a roadside cliff and connected perfectly with the plane. Just like that, the annoying pilot was taken out of action. The Insurgent, though, was perfectly fine after the collision. This is just one of many ways you can take down jets in GTA Online. One thing is for sure, though, this perfect timing won’t come around often. Another way of taking them out includes sneak attacking them in a parachute, which will leave them just seconds to realize you’re even close. Fortunately, one GTA Online player has found a unique way to shave off a few precious seconds in the game’s Diamond Casino heist. This time-saving technique might look a little painful, but the heist money will easily cover the hospital bill. Instead of going through the staff entrance to the casino, Reddit user 03canadian_f5 has found a rather comedic way to speed the robbery up. Upon landing on the Casino’s roof, the player makes their way over to the stairwell. However, instead of simply running down the stairs, the player decides to simply jump through the gap. This sends their character hurtling down into the basement. It’s often hard to feel sorry for these player-made criminals, but the way 03canadian_f5’s character smashes his head, elbow, and legs as he falls is hilarious. After watching this bone-crunching ordeal, the master bank thief simply walks it off as if nothing had happened. It seems that the initial knock to the head and subsequent hits slowed his descent just enough to avoid a fatal death. Well, a player may have found the perfect location to hold and camp whilst fighting off the cops. It has been seven years since the release of GTA Online back in October of 2013. Although now classed as a relatively old title, GTA Online maintains a large and dedicated player base. The title has received numerous updates adding fresh and exciting content to the game. From heists to a wealth of items and vehicles to collect, a player isn’t short of content to get stuck into. However, as with any GTA title, sometimes a player just wants to rack up the wanted level and see how long they can survive. Perfect location to fight off the cops A post made to the GTA Online subreddit has highlighted the best location to camp whilst maintaining a high wanted level. The redditor reveals that the rooftop of Eclipse Lodge, located in West Vinewood, is the perfect location to fight off cops. The only access to the rooftop of the building is a ladder which the cops are unable to climb. This means that players can simply camp the top of the building and shoot down with no consequences: “If you’re looking to blow off some steam… the rooftop of the Eclipse Lodge is the place to be… for some reason, the cops can’t properly climb up the ladder.” Unfortunately, players will not be able to hold this spot for an infinite amount of time. As the Reddit user helpfully mentions, the only officers that will be able to reach players are the S.W.A.T team that repel from helicopters. It is possible to hold off the helicopters, but you would need to get a group of friends together and keep track of the skies. As the Oppressor is a flying vehicle, it can be hard for players using standard cars to take them out. However, one GTA Online player has proven it’s not impossible and may have figured out the perfect counter. GTA Online player finds perfect counter for Oppressor MK2 griefers A thread posted to the GTA Online subreddit showing a player taking out an Oppressor MK2 griefer has garnered over 12,000 upvotes. While driving around Los Santos, Rad_Sh1ba realized they were being pursued by a player in an Oppressor. Although most players would have attempted to make a getaway, Rad_Sh1ba was prepared for this moment and knew exactly what to do. After the player in the Oppressor got a little too close, Rad_Sh1ba threw a C4 into the air and triggered the explosive. Even if you get a few members of the community who stick to the roads and stop at traffic lights for a laugh, generally they are in the minority and the rest is utter chaos. A gun like the Up-n-Atomizer is capable of great things, terrible, but great. Its powerful blast can send cars, buses, tanks, and even planes flying in the opposite direction. However, one player has shown a more delicate side to the gun. Apparently, this is actually the perfect tool to move cars between parking spaces. GTA Online trick for the Up-n-Atomizer As seen in a clip posted to the GTA Online subreddit, user skelatorx7 proved that it’s not all about destruction with the weapon. In fact, with just one small push, they were able to move their car perfectly from one place to another without doing a single scratch to it. Now, here it’s just one off the street and not many will care about that, but it would definitely be handy if it were your own insured vehicle. As seen in the video, the player simply aimed in and fired low into the side of the car. Soon after, it flips perfectly into the next parking spot as if it was a natural way for it to happen. While waiting patiently, dfygxc-ggxfyd pulled out his phone for something to do while the hacker completed his role in the job. The Oppressor MK2 has the incredibly devastating ability of setting off homing launcher missiles, which can easily wipe out a majority of vehicles – and drivers that find themselves on the receiving end of an attack. That said, as the clip shows below, all you really need is a few sticky grenades and a fully upgraded Nightshark to fend them off. Prices for Nightshark and Sticky Bombs in GTA Online Now that you know what works, you may be wondering about how much this solution actually costs. After all, nobody wants to be taken out from the skies every time they spawn in public lobbies. The HVY Nightshark itself is an expensive acquisition. Bought from Warstock Cache & Carry, it sells for $1,245,000 and needs to be fully upgraded with armor improvements to fend off missiles. When fully upgraded, it can withstand an impressive 27 strikes, which should give you enough time to get up close and personal with the enemy. Once you have added that level of protection, the cost of Sticky Bombs isn’t very expensive at all. In fact, they are available for $400 each, which is a mere drop in the ocean for those who have been claiming the $1,000,000 rewards of late. So, there you have it. Costing a whopping $3,890,250 in-game, from Warstock Cache & Carry, the Oppressor allows players to zoom around as they please near the road or high in the sky. In terms of its known abilities, the hover bike works much like a hovercraft over water, has a huge rocket boost that can take it up to 135mph, includes machine guns and also rocket launchers – which can easily dispose of unarmored vehicles at will. However, Reddit user BungMcSkrungkins has found a strange trait that can only really be pulled off in very specific circumstances – and it’s actually quite funny. When you think about the MK2, you think about seeing them zooming around overhead in Los Santos, perhaps even wreaking havoc with its weapons, but apparently you can also use it to hang underneath bridges like a bat. One thing is for sure, based on the clip below, suspecting players would never see you coming. Striking when opponents least expect it is very effective in GTA Online and this tactic, if pulled off correctly, allows you to see not just what’s coming below, but also see through the road on the bridge too. Also, whether or not this will be patched out in a future update remains to be seen. After a bit of comparing and contrasting though, one GTA Online player has come to a surprising discovery on what the fastest vehicle actually is. GTA Online player discovers Ultralight is fastest vehicle While flying around in Los Santos with their Ultralight glider, one GTA Online player found that the simple vehicle was not only comparable in speed to a jet, but was actually much faster. The player, Reddit user QBekka, took to the GTA Online subreddit to showcase their discovery by comparing the time it takes to get across the map for and ultralight, and a “military rocket-powered jet.”. Both vehicles started out competely side by side, with a timer to show how long it took each to reach one end of the map from the other. What ensued was the glider completely outpacing the jet. It wasn’t even a competition, as the Ultralight won by a whole 93 seconds. It just goes to show that in a game as deep as GTA Online that has a plethora of vehicles, something going simple is the best strategy you can use.

The recently released, Los Santos Tuners DLC has been another great addition to the wide array of DLC the game has to offer. But, one aspect of GTA that fans often forget about is the stealth component. Sneaking around enemies in order to get to the objective, or silently taking them out with silenced weapons sounds like a great concept at first glance. One GTA Online player, however, has discovered how broken the stealth is during one of the many heists within the game. Grand Theft Auto’s runaway success with GTA Online is tremendous. Giving players a sun-soaked sandbox to cause mayhem within, players are still coming back in droves for more. As more ridiculous weapons, vehicles and outfits have populated the game world, fans are finding new ways to grief other players with often hilarious results. This can be frustrating for others looking to simply explore the depths of Los Santos. There are some players out there, however, willing to make a change. It isn’t always players that need help either. What if an NPC was having a bad day too? Luckily for one ill-fated NPC, a hero emerged from the shadows. An unlikely hero arrives Free Guy is the latest comedy vehicle starring Ryan Reynolds. Portraying Guy, a Bank Teller NPC within the video game Free City, he soon learns his life isn’t as simple as he thought. Becoming self aware of his existence, Guy sets out to make Free City a better place. Realistically, NPC’s are pre-programmed characters, designed to add tangibility to the open-world in this instance. Taking notes from Free Guy: What if they were more than that? What if, just maybe, some of these NPC’s had a life beyond what we see during our gaming sessions. Reddit user “stopstealmyusernames” got a glimpse into the NPC world first-hand. Every car needs a bit of love to restore it back to its former glory. Unfortunately, this NPC had a bit of trouble getting their prized vehicle looking pristine. Smashing their Mini Cooper style car back and forth in shameful Austin Powers fashion, their day was getting off to a disastrous start. All of that suddenly changed, as good Samaritan “stopstealmyusernames” arrived to offer support. Guiding them with flourishes of expert guidance, the issue was soon resolved swiftly. As the NPC makes their way back onto the road, the rest of the tale will always linger in our imaginations. Did they ever repair their car? Or could they claim on Mors Mutual Insurance? Whether they are, we hope they’re not just having a good day…but a great day.

Suffice it to say, this particular content update has given Grand Theft Auto Online players plenty of reasons to reengage with the open world. And data suggests it’s been nothing short of a boon for Rockstar and publisher Take-Two. GTA Online’s Welcome to the Troupe boosts player count Over a week ago, Twitter user and industry insider Tez2 revealed data showing three million users had played Welcome to the Troupe. It’s an impressive figure, one that’s since grown considerably. In a follow-up tweet, Tez2 noted that between January 16 and January 25, the GTA Online mission had attracted another ~554,000 players. Considering these numbers, it’s no wonder Grand Theft Auto’s multiplayer suite continues to receive significant updates. Los Santos Drug Wars is the latest in a long line of content updates for GTA Online. Before the likes of GTA Online’s Troupe missions touched down, Rockstar introduced Criminal Enterprises as its summer 2022 rollout. Notably, it included everything from expanded Criminal Careers to an array of gameplay improvements. What Rockstar Games has in store for the title next presently remains unknown. For now, it seems series faithful are most interested in learning more about Grand Theft Auto 6. When official details on that front will start making the rounds is anyone’s guess.

GTA Online player banned over selfie and fans want it overturned Rockstar GamesRockstar Games are being pressured by GTA Online players to unban a user who claims they were slapped with a Social Club ban just for taking a selfie. A user by the name of QrixPL posted their case to Reddit on July 6, saying: “Rockstar banned my Social Club because I uploaded this photo…” Beneath the text was a screenshot of their photograph in-game, showing the player saluting with a message on the wall behind them. It reads: “Vote for nobody… Nobody really cares about Los Santos.” Given the fact that this is content Rockstar themselves added, the ban has caused confusion. The post itself has recorded over 3,800 upvotes, with hundreds of comments calling for the decision to be revised. It is unclear how long this ban will last for – though it means the Reddit user cannot share photos with the rest of the community. According to the developers, they say: “If a Rockstar Games Social Club account is temporarily suspended from online gameplay, that account will not be able to access online play for that title from the moment the account is suspended until the suspension expiration date; the suspension expiration date will be displayed on the in-game splash screen upon return to Story Mode play.” These bans, or suspensions, typically occur when there has been a violation of their EULA or Terms of Service. Players rally behind banned GTA 5 player One user, with over 1,000 upvotes, said: “Appeal it. Get it reversed.” The poster replied: “I asked R* support why I was banned on SC. They respond that they cannot inform me what was deleted and why. I know that is that picture because I compared my SC profile with in-game gallery. This is the only one missing from my profile.” Another user said: “The ‘we can’t give any further information’ is obviously just a copy-paste answer and I think even if they wanted to explain, they most certainly aren’t allowed to. Maybe look at the terms of service or what it’s called and see if there is something about political stuff.” A third person added: “This is self-censorship. More importantly, they are censoring the very content they themselves created.” Whether or not the campaign to have QrixPL’s ban overturned will cause a change in decision remains to be seen. At the time of writing, the developers have not commented publicly on the ban.

As such, if you ever play GTA Online, there’s a good chance that you see players running around in outlandish outfits and for Redditor ‘xxx55yearoldman,’ this was a chance to cosplay as his avatar. Posting to Reddit, the user showed off his custom character before changing the video to an amazing IRL perspective, bringing the game to life. GTA Online goes IRL with ridiculous cosplay In the video, xxx55yearoldman begins by showing off his character hanging out in his in-game apartment. Wearing a bag over his head, red scarf over a shirtless body and a comical bear tattoo, the character seemed to look like someone you’d run into on a New York subway. After going to sleep in-game, the player changed his video to “awake” in real life dressed up as the character and showed off his amazing cosplay in the mirror, bag on his head and all. Hilariously, the IRL gamer than “equipped” a bomb and gun that was left in the bathroom, picked up some money and went outside only to “die” instantly after being shot by an opposing player. Other users were impressed by the cosplay, calling it “awesome content.” Hopefully, this can inspire more players to try to bring their own GTA characters to life (without the crime and death, of course).

GTA Online Peyote Plant glitch is stealing weapons from players Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto players are seeing their weapons disappear from their inventories after turning into animals in GTA Online, due to an unexpected bug. Rockstar Games are always looking to refresh the game’s online mode, adding content regularly with weekly updates. However, the latest addition which saw the return of Peyote Plants, spawning all over the map, hasn’t been going as expected for some members of the community. Those who have interacted with the plants in-game will know that eating them will turn you into an animal, but some have realized that this isn’t the only impact it has on you. It seems to be stealing specific guns as well. The potential bug was flagged by Reddit user MutsumiHayase on April 8, just two days after an update went live in-game to bring the plants back. They said: “Eating the Peyote Plant will permanently remove the Navy Revolver from your inventory,” warning players who want to keep the pistol to avoid the temptation of turning into an animal. Its other use, however, would be for those looking to remove it from their inventory. In that case, there’s an argument that it could be useful. Now, this glitch will be annoying for those who have obtained the Navy Revolver, as it’s not exactly the easiest weapon to get your hands on in GTA Online. It’s actually quite rare and can only be unlocked by completing two key challenges: solving the Los Santos Slasher mystery, and completing the Navy Revolver challenge. It’s unclear as to how big an issue this is in GTA, although more than just this player have experienced bugs involving the gun. Another said: ” I can see now that my Navy Revolver is gone as well, nice. Not sure if it went at the same time or later from a Peyote plant, but if it was from the plant it didn’t remove anything else like explosives.” Whether or not Rockstar are aware of the issue is unknown at this time, but it’s probably only a matter of time before they’re rotated back out of the game anyway.

Rockstar Games typically deploys weekly updates for Grand Theft Auto Online every Thursday. With the latest of such releases, users can ring in the new year with the Western Powersurge motorcycle. The final update of 2022 also gives GTA Online players access to free gifts, specifically a bundle that includes three pairs of New Year glasses, a firework launcher, a Yellow Holly beer hat, and much more. Unfortunately, the update additionally introduced exploits on PC that could cause a fair few problems for unaware players. Crash and kick exploits hit GTA Online’s PC version Industry insider and Twitter user Tez2 has issued a PSA to all Grand Theft Auto Online PC players. Apparently, there are “new remote ‘crash’ and ‘kick’ exploits out in the wild.” Cheaters can crash another user’s GTA Online game in single-player or lobbies, though they don’t have to actually appear in the same session as their targets. According to Tez2, the best course of action for those looking to avoid such issues is to employ a firewall to block all unknown connections. The Twitter user later informed one player that relying on VPNs will not help in this regard. Firewalls seem the best bet, with Tez2 specifically recommending Speyedr from GitLab as a good choice. In subsequent responses, the insider added that the latest PC exploits in GTA Online break from the norm in that “there’s no need for [the cheater and the target] to be in the same session.” How long this particular problem will continue to plague the experience is anyone’s guess.

Remote exploits on PC snuffed out in GTA Online patch Rockstar Games has unleashed GTA V’s Title Update 1.66 on PC to specifically tackle security-related issues plaguing GTA Online. Most importantly, Update 1.66 fixes an issue that permitted third parties to modify a user’s GTA Online experience by “altering GTA$ balance, RP level, Bad Sport status, and other player stats.” In addition, third parties should no longer be able to manipulate players with crash and kick exploits. The new update further implements a data protocol that “improve[s] the security of network sessions and player-to-player messaging.” It’s worth noting that these measures won’t eliminate cheating outright. The update keeps hackers from using exploits in invite-only sessions, yet GTA Online’s PC users will still encounter typical instances of cheating from time to time. At the very least, 1.66 marks a step in the right direction for those who’ve been battling crash and kick exploits for the last several weeks.

Because Rockstar Games rotates out the available Adversary modes, the likes of Overtime Rumble never stick around permanently. GTA Online regulars call for Overtime Rumble’s return Redditor mxz_yt received a positive response after expressing their disappointment about the absence of Overtime Rumble. “I’m so sad Rockstar removed this game mode,” the Reddit user wrote, to which many users responded in agreement. Rockstar vaulted Overtime Rumble, Target Assault Races, and several Adversary modes late last year. Its returned in the months since then, according to No-Assignment9303, though only for a limited period of time. Because some jobs were removed to improve matchmaking and free up space for future updates, it’s believed that Overtime Rumble and various Adversary modes may have bitten the bullet for similar reasons. It’s also possible that Rockstar vaults certain features based on their popularity. Players such as Arellan think one solution rests in rotating modes more frequently, “like having 5-ish game modes available for 1-2 weeks then swapping them out.” Reddit users also chimed in with other beloved game types that have yet to return. Motor Wars seems especially missed, for example. These Adversary modes and more will likely resurface in future rotations but it’s clear players long for the day when they can jump into their favorite game types at leisure.
