Pull almost a hundred times, and you can get a five-star character. You may not, however, get the four-star you wanted. According to a report by data.ai on the state of mobile gaming, Genshin Impact managed to gross $5 billion in just 40 months, becoming the fastest mobile game to ever do so. The second fastest game to get the accolade, Clash of Clans, took 51 months, meaning Genshin beat it by nearly a year to earn $5 billion. “This figure includes spending in the game via Apple’s App Store and Google Play,” data.ai said of their numbers. “But even absent income from third-party Android Marketplaces.” They revealed that China alone accounted for $1.5 billion in sales, being the largest contributor at 30% of sales. Where are they?” joked one player. “I am ready to die for this little burrowing dragon-thing,” wrote another Traveler. Genshin Impact players furious over Hu Tao “breaking” co-op mode miHoYoAfter making her return to Genshin Impact in November 2021, players are complaining that Hu Tao is ‘ruining’ the miHoYo’s RPG’s co-op mode. Ever since her debut in Genshin Impact’s Update 1.3, players have been desperate to get another shot at Hu Tao. The Liyue funeral parlor Director is one of the most powerful characters in the game, dealing insane critical damage when paired with the Staff of Homa. The 5-star character’s rerun in November, however, has created a major problem in the RPG’s co-op mode as stated in a viral post. According to many players, the heroine’s playstyle gimmick has led some fans to spoil the miHoYo title’s online matchmaking. Is Hu Tao ruining Genshin Impact co-op? Hu Tao is able to execute a mind-blowing amount of damage once her health drops below 50%. Living up to her title of funeral Director, players have to master a playstyle of constantly keeping the heroine on the edge of death to land massive damage to enemies. The unique mechanic has created major problems with the miHoYo RPG’s co-op mode according to the community. In a viral post on the r/GenshinImpact forum, a user detailed experiencing a wave of players obsessing over landing large critical damage while ignoring the rest of the enemies immune to fire. “While co-oping the Crimson Witch domain, I’ve seen a few people bring HuTao into the domain,” they wrote. “Then when the Pyro Slimes come up they do absolutely nothing, no attacking whatsoever. And then they only start attacking with their skill activated for the other 2 waves. They literally just bring Hu Tao to flex. And this has happened multiple times.” The player was not alone in their negative experience, as other fans also detailed running into the same problem in co-op mode since Hu Tao’s rerun launched in Update 2.2. “One of the reasons I don’t ever co-op unless I’m helping someone. Just makes domains harder,” a player wrote. “It happened when Hu Tao first came out as well. One of the most annoying (and honestly unbelievable) is when I met a Hu Tao in Crimson Witch who used her E against the Pyro Slimes,” another said. Several fans pointed out that another reason players focused on only landing high damage is to raise the friendship level of their character. “Maybe they’re raising her friendship? Whenever a new 5-star character is introduced or a rerun event happens, players are using co-op to quickly raise friendship levels up. As part of the Genshin Impact 4.8 update, HoYoverse has made adjustments to Neuvillette’s charged attack. Before the patch, the Hydro character could rotate his water beam at high speeds, enabling him to quickly acquire new targets. This enabled players to rapidly spin 360 degrees, dealing damage to all enemies simultaneously. Well, it turns out that this was a bug and not an intentional part of his kit. As of July 17, 2024, HoYoverse has now fixed this issue and rewarded players with free Primogems. However, following the change to Neuvillette’s charged attack, Genshin players have taken to social media to voice their anger over the “terrible” nerf. Genshin Impact fans slam Neuvillette nerf “It just seems really clunky by how they’re force-slowing him. He feels way worse to play than he did before,” wrote one unhappy player on the Genshin Impact Reddit page. “I hope they revert it like the Yae Miko totem bug fix.” Others were keen to highlight how HoYoverse could nerf Neuvillette’s beam speed without making him feel clunky to play. “Rather than nerf the camera rotation, HoYoverse could have limited the hitscan to only hit targets seen in the first 90°s of rotation every 0.4s,” explained one commenter. “This way rapid spinning around would cause a DPS loss (which is fair), without the clunky gameplay.” Since the nerf went live, players have reported that using Neuv’s beam is now extremely difficult to sue against more mobile enemies. This is especially true when facing bosses like Childe and Arlecchino, who use their agility to weave in attacks. The problems don’t just end there though, as even killing Spiral Abyss mobs is proving tricky – an area that is needed for clearing floors within the time limit. “I just played a few hours ago and even though I positioned Neuv a bit far for him to easily hit many enemies just by turning, it sucks,” wrote another Neuv main. “Prior to the nerf I could kill both final 2 enemies on his Artifact domain just by switching. now, I can’t do it. wastes too much time switching even with proper positioning.” Some members of the Genshin community also believe HoYoverse has tactically nerfed Neuvillette to push more people into rolling for Mualani. This character will be released in the Natlan update, alongside Mavuika and other new units. According to the new leak, fans who log in during Update 2.3 in December 2021 can get their hands on the Cinnabar Spindle 4-star sword. Some players are furious, though, calling the weapon one of the “worst” items the developer has offered. Genshin Impact fans hate free weapon in Update 2.3 While not 100% confirmed, dataminers in October revealed that players will likely be given the Cinnabar Spindle 4-Star Sword for free in December after completing a special event that takes place in Dragonspire. The only problem is, the sword’s main stat is entirely focused on Defense, which the majority of characters that use the weapon do not rely on. The item appears to be aimed at Geo character Albedo. It makes sense given the event is said to be based around the hero. The item’s niche usage didn’t sit well with some players, though, who took to social media and forums to vent their frustrations. “This is free? It’s absolutely useless for everyone but Albedo,” a player reacted. Another agreed and said, “Should’ve just made it a five-star sword and given a different weapon out for free, this isn’t good on anybody except for Albedo lol.” Other fans accused miHoYo of wasting one of the best-looking weapons in the game to date. “What a waste of a gorgeous sword to be an only Abedo weapon, pain,” a fan wrote. “It’s the best looking four-star weapon in the game and it’s borderline unusable on any character that’s not Albedo, and even for Albedo it’s not a huge jump over the Harbinger of Dawn.” Despite the backlash, not every player is angry. According to many fans, a bug tied to the mode has been wreaking havoc on players and leaving their characters dead at the worst time possible. Genshin Impact event glitch is sabotaging players During the Labyrinth Warriors Event, players can only tackle one section of the domain every few days. The mode doesn’t progress until a certain amount of time has passed. The feature’s design has created an unintentional headache for users according to multiple reports. The issue was first highlighted in a viral thread on the r/GenshinImpact forum when ‘arzenalvilkiss’ posted a video of the bug. “[Today I learned] event intros can ruin your Abyss runs,” they titled their post, which included a video of their Abyss attempt being interrupted by the event. In the clip, the player is in the heat of battle when a notification appears on screen notifying them that Labyrinth Warriors: Pt II “Pushing On” has started. During the message pop-up, the user’s character continues to be pummeled by enemies while not being able to move, eventually killing them. The community took to social media to vent their frustrations and share their similar experiences. “Happened to me too a couple hours ago. It’s now been a year since the release of Genshin Impact and players are still begging miHoYo to add more difficult content. After all, grinding Domains and completing the same daily quests can get extremely tedious, especially when the next update is months away. Genshin Impact players call for better dungeons Aside from the standard Domains that are scattered around Teyvat, Genshin Impact also includes mini-dungeons. Unlike the game’s standard Domains, these One-Time dungeons task players with solving puzzles, fighting enemy-filled rooms, and even using their gliders to reach certain objectives. For example, the Domain of the Wayward Path tasks players with using a Geo character to activate five pillars in order to reach the endpoint. However, every pillar that is activated will also change the state of the two adjacent pillars. Gindi — along with Aether’s voice actor Zach Aguilar — have defended the pronunciation in-game though. “I’ve got to be honest here — Tighnari, or whatever people are insist you pronounce it as — is not a name you hear very often,” Gindi said on stream with Aguilar. “I’m Middle Eastern but my grandmother was ahead of the curve and was like ‘racism? Everyone gets European names.’ She did it back in the Middle East. “I would say it however the client wanted but even so I wouldn’t even make the mistake. While Kokomi’s place within the wider Genshin Impact meta won’t matter for those who like her design, the current issues surrounding the Pearl of Wisdom have put a lot of players off of using her. Genshin Impact fans disappointed by Kokomi abilities Support characters are invariably a great option for those looking to tackle tough enemies, but a number of Genshin Impact players believe that the game’s current content lacks the need for such a healer reliant role. “I think it’s fine to be a 5-star niche but at least be a niche that people would actually want or need,” said nullmarked. “A healer niche with current content is just pointless.” While Kokomi’s role as a healer isn’t a problem, many players have been disappointed to find that her abilities share a similar theme to Noelle’s – a free 4-star Geo character. “Looking at Kokomi’s kit, it’s pretty easy to see what her intended playstyle is,” says Felyndiira. “She pops her ult, becomes an immortal healer that heals all her damage, and deals some okay damage in return. This isn’t really a ‘meta’ concept but is not really a bad concept in theory. Except, we already have an immortal healer that pops her ult, heals, never takes damage, and deals good damage in return. Her name is Noelle.” However, unlike Noelle, Kokomi’s entire kit is tailored around healing. There’s also the fact that her ability to apply hydro to all enemies is closely matched by Mona – another Hydro 5-star that has been in the game since launch. To make matters worse, Kokomi’s Elemental Skill (Kurage’s Oath) lacks synergy with her signature weapon. Everlasting Moonglow grants energy recharge whenever Kokomi attacks, which is at odds with her healing-orientated kit. After all, Kokomi’s abilities enable players to apply her Elemental Skill, before switching out into their main DPS characters. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for her Burst, which forces players to attack with Kokomi in order to heal nearby allies. Instead, what players are left with is a support/damage dealer hybrid that feels a little at odds with itself. Whether MiHoYo will make any adjustments to Kokomi’s abilities remains to be seen, but for now, it appears fans aren’t happy with her current playstyle.

Not only does this make them incredibly hard to hit with melee characters, but the corrosion ailment can also melt through even the tankiest of allied units. They asked why the gacha title had a 1500-limit for artifacts but a 2000-limit for weapons. Fellow Genshin players agreed, but tried to figure out the answer. “Because you get weapons from pulls, so they need space to not interrupt big spenders mid-pulling for inventory management,” ‘Cthulhilly’ suggested. “It’s likely a matter of account data storage,” ‘The_Cheeseman83’ claimed. “Weapons have less data to track since each copy has the same stats. All they need to keep track of is each one’s level and refinements.” ‘Not-one-of-import’ crunched some quick numbers for those who whale for characters. However, obtaining the latest 4-star has proven rather tricky and the Genshin Impact community is demanding HoYoverse make adjustments to 4-star character unlocks. Genshin Impact players want changes to 4-star character unlocks “140 wishes and 2 Chevreuses’. A good 9 Bennetts and a couple of Saras. The fact that there is no system for 4-star acquisition is insane to me, as this is far from the first time this has happened,” noted one frustrated Genshin Impact character. “I know everyone always says ‘don’t pull for 4-stars’ but they are supposed to be the lower rarity option. When it comes to the land Teyvat and Genshin Impact there is no shortage of people with special abilities. Each character already has mastery of a specific type of weapon and a particular element to match, so it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. Being a messenger of the divine could certainly help to create some separation though, and some fans are convinced that is what sets Diona apart as potentially the voice of a Greek goddess. The connection is centered around Diona and the similarities she shares with Dionysus, the Goddess of Winemaking in the Greek pantheon. The biggest of the points is how Diona is a barkeeper at Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt, mirroring Dionysus’ relationship with alcohol. The connection does fall apart after that initial detail, as the young girl has her heart set on taking down the entire wine industry in Mondstadt despite the bar’s success. One user joked that this revelation would absolutely break Diona’s own heart: “She became the very thing she swore to destroy”. Another commenter pointed out that the cryo-archer could actually represent a mixture of multiple deities: “There is the Greek goddess Dione and the Roman Goddess Diana. Diana in particular is a bow-using, goddess of the hunt; as we know, Diona comes from a line of hunters.” While no blatant connection is specified in the game, these coincidences are more than enough for fans to dream about the possibility and wonder what-if.

There are ways to get around it — just juggling around characters from party to party. However, once you account for artifact loadouts and weapons, constantly having to swap those, makes swapping teams tedious. HoYoverse is solving one part of the problem at least, according to leaks. Coming in Genshin Impact Version 3.0 with the release of Sumeru, developers are expanding the number of team slots from four to 10. The increase in slots comes as a relief to players who were struggling to shuffle in new characters to their existing teams. Now players can set aside more rosters to take on dedicated boss fights, or even for pushing friendship levels. It’s been labeled as one of the biggest quality of life changes players have been waiting for — among dedicated artifact loadouts for a character that can be saved and swapped as needed. The latter, sadly, isn’t coming just yet. The current change is all according to leaks from the Version 3.0 beta though. If HoYoverse is feeling particularly cruel, or if there’s a game-breaking glitch, it could be pulled from the patch before its August release. All things being equal though, Genshin Impact players will be able to freely slot in their new Sumeru characters once the region drops — and then some — with the expanded team slots.

This is especially true for 4-stars that don’t have special rate-ups on current banners or those not featured on Paimon’s Bargains. Genshin Impact players demand changes to Paimon’s Bargains “I just ran out of Primos and have Sara now at C5 (I was looking to get Raiden C2, got C1), but that C6 is SO important to her. And even if I fork over some money right now, that won’t guarantee that I won’t just keep rolling Bennett copies,” wrote one player on the official Genshin Impact Reddit page. “Paimon’s Bargains feel like they should be the answer to that sort of problem, but for some reason, Hoyo refuses to update the roster of available 4-stars from that. Aside from the Spiral Abyss, the new event has given Genshin Impact fans even more challenging content that can often prove incredibly difficult to complete. While this added challenge is a welcome addition to the game’s main story content, Genshin Impact YouTuber Mtashed believes that miHoYo needs to increase the rewards for those who complete the game’s harder challenges. Genshin Impact difficulty vs reward “[miHoYo] create these really hard things and you can get a pat on the back for sure, but they don’t really reward you for being able to complete them,” explained Mtashed. The YouTuber noted how the 1.6 Legend of the Vagabond Sword event gave players the opportunity to take down bosses on the hardest difficulty, but there was actually no incentive for doing so. In fact, players could claim the bulk of the rewards for just playing on the easiest difficulty. Creates great contrast with her suit, too! Oh, and some small accessories here and there are neat as well. Charismatic, confident, and simply majestic. Judging from her design, it looks like Iansan will use the Pyro element to pulverize her foes. The people of Natlan also famously worship Murata, the Pyro Archon. This means Iansan could likely end up using Pyro attacks to douse her enemies in flames. Kuki Shinobu Kuki Shinobu is an upcoming character that could be coming to Genshin Impact in a future update. Yaoyao Yaoyao first appeared in official Genshin Impact artwork alongside the food-loving Pyro character, Xiangling. According to various voice lines and in-game texts, Yaoyao and Xiangling both studied under the same master chef. After spending time learning to cook alongside Xiangling, Yaoyao later found herself assisting Ganyu. While we currently only have the official artwork above to go off of, many players believe Yaoya has Dendro abilities. This certainly makes sense considering Dendro’s plant-based attacks have synergy with Pyro element (Burning Elemental Reaction). After all, the free to play mobile game utilizes elemental combat that players must master in order to capitalize on enemy weaknesses. This essentially makes Genshin Impact the perfect platform for a Pokemon crossover. Well, one Traveler has entered the spotlight by adding one of the most iconic first-gen starter Pokemon to Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact mod adds starter Pokemon to the game Posting on the Chinese video video-sharing platform, Bilibili, one player showcased themselves playing as Squirtle in Genshin Impact. During the clip, the Water-type Pokemon can be seen blasting Slimes and Hilichurls with hydro attacks while the original Pokemon theme tune plays in the background. While the mod doesn’t add any of Squirtle’s signature attacks to the game, Neuvillete’s kit actually works very well as a replacement. In fact, his charged attack looks very similar to Hydro Pump, while his Elemental Skill allows Squirtle to unleash deadly a waterfall that deals AoE Hydro damage. When these moves are combined with the waves unleashed from Neuvillete’s Elemental Burst, you have a recipe for a fairly accurate depiction of Squirtle. Genshin Impact fans relieved following Mika Stamina nerf announcement HoYoverseGenshin Impact announced its plans to minorly nerf Mika only days after he arrived in the game’s 3.5 update, causing players to breathe a sigh of relief. Genshin Impact added Mika to Shenhe and Ayaka’s re-run Wish Banners as the new 4-star character. After Rosaria, Mika marked the second Cryo Polearm user and served as The Surveyor of the Mondstadt Reconnaissance Company. Four days after Mika’s introduction as a playable character, Genshin Impact revealed it had incorrectly input the Stamina Cost of his Charged Attack at 20 instead of the typical 25. The reveal has come after many players expressed concern over the character’s overpowered build. Genshin Impact makes a minor adjustment to Mika On the Genshin Impact subreddit, Reddit user Gas4078 posted a screenshot of the game’s upcoming change to Mika. The announcement declared Mika’s Stamina Cost issue would be fixed in a March 30 update. Like usual nerfs, Genshin Impact will compensate players with Primogems for the adjustment. _MikasaChan_ praised the decision, “Imagine doing 5 charged attack with him as healer/support and then getting nerfed to 4. That was a freaking broken character.” Another user said, “His and Dehya’s beta was one of the saddest betas I’ve ever witnessed. I’m pretty sure Mika didn’t even receive any significant change to his kit for the entirety of the beta.” Genshin Impact’s previous banner featured the new 5-star Pyro Claymore user Dehya, whose underwhelming kit resulted in many players demanding HoYoverse fix the character. Upon picking up the quest from Katheryne after hitting Adventure Rank 20, you meet Ella Musk. While she may look like a child, don’t be fooled: she’s actually a scholar of Hilichurlian linguistics and studies the monsters’ native tongue intensively. She tasks you with helping her to locate and speak to willing Hilichurls in an effort to understand their language more and find the elusive Unusual Hilichurl. While this may sound like a breeze, it takes translating and carrying out certain tasks across seven days to finish. You have until June 8 to complete it all. Contents: Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo day 1 Day one of the Mimi Tomo request takes you to Starsnatch Cliff in Mondstadt. Once you’ve found the friendly Hilichurl, it’ll ask you for Mita movo lata which translates roughly to “meat water.” This is an easy one but if you’ve not guessed it yet, it’s asking for fish so either a Fish, Frog, Crab, or some Shrimp Meat will do. Next, you’ll be sent to Guili Plains in Liyue where you’ll get another request from a monster. This time, you need to go to a marked location and defeat two waves of Treasure Hoarders – easy! Once that’s done, the enemy will give you a time and place where the Unusual Hilichurl spawns, but you’ll have to decipher the language first. “Unta nunu” means “late night” so head over to the Windrise Statue of the Seven at 00:00 to encounter and fight the foe. Rewards: 60 Primogems, 6x Hero’s Wit, Embroidered Lantern: Lofty Grandeur blueprint Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo day 2 A new day means a new Mimi Tomo task! Head to Minlin in Liyue and speak to the Hilichurl. It’ll ask you to defeat two waves of Geovishap before giving you the location of the next friendly foe. While on the surface it looks like any other in-game celebration, the Enkanomiya storyline has actually introduced a major change to how the gacha game handles events and fans are loving it. Not only does it not have time-locked content, but users can technically complete the month-long celebration in one sitting. YouTuber ‘Undiscovery Ch’ picked up on this massive change and made a video highlighting the difference between previous event-based content. Players immediately reacted to the changes with praise. “The fact that the even isn’t timegated is what made me finish Enkanomiya quest line. It allowed me to do it at my own pace instead of feeling rushed,” one player wrote.
